  • Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite – Dexerto

Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite Fortnite changes dramatically with each and every patch – here are the top five most controversial updates in the game’s history. Epic Games launched Fortnite Battle Royale in September 2017 and the game reached heights that no-one would have ever anticipated. The boom in popularity allowed the developer to host a $40m competitive tournament, the Fortnite World Cup, as well as implementing never before seen in-game events such as the Marshmello concert at Pleasant Park. Epic love to keep their game fresh, with weekly updates constantly changing the meta. However, these five updates were not well received. Fortnite Season X – Update v10 Where else to start but the current season of Fortnite. Fans were overjoyed to see Dusty Depot teased in the build-up the season’s release, hoping to see other locations such as Tilted Towers or Retail Row return too. While Dusty did get reintroduced, as did the B.R.U.T.E (mechs). Easily the most overpowered item in Fortnite history, the two-man vehicle is almost impossible to defend against thanks to its rockets and shotgun. It’s ridiculous movement speed and 1,000 HP mean there is almost no counter to its powers. Fans were so disappointed with the update, the hashtag #RemoveTheMech was trending worldwide. Epic Games eventually pushed out a nerf to the giant robots which still remain extremely powerful, especially in the end game. Siphon removed – Update v8 While the BRUTE has proven to be one of the game’s most unpopular additions, the competitive settings known as ‘siphon’ were warmly received during the v7.40 patch. Also known as pop-up cup settings, they grant players health and materials on elimination, meaning you are awarded for picking up kills. Harvesting rate is also increased meaning farming materials is no longer a chore and more landing spots become viable. However, at the start of Season 8, Epic Games revealed they would be reverting the decision to add siphon settings to public matches due to increased levels of “unhealthy aggression”. Despite receiving tons of backlash on social media, it never came back. Planes – Update v7 Another unpopular addition to Fortnite was the X4-Stormwing – otherwise known simply as planes. After files were leaked, the vehicle was implemented during the launch of Season 7. While it was handy that planes could carry four players, they were able to break through structures and damage players with relatively little danger to the passengers. Planes impacted competitive games hugely, with players even starting a ‘truce’ in the air to make it to late game together in order to pick up placement points. Planes were nerfed throughout the season, but players still felt they had no place in Fortnite and they were eventually vaulted on the launch of Season 8. The Infinity Blade – Update v7.01 The introduction of planes caused a shakeup in competitive, but nothing could compare to the havoc caused following Epic Games’ introduction of the Infinity Blade. Found at Polar Peak, one player would be able to take advantage of its ridiculous power. While wielding the item, players could harvest materials rapidly while traveling the map at great speeds, all while dealing massive damage to their enemies. In a not so timely update, Epic added the Infinity Blade on the day of the Winter Royale qualifiers. That prompted some pro players to mock the developer during the games, with Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo spelling out his support-a-creator code during one of the games. Again, it was nerfed massively before being vaulted, however, it has returned in various limited-time modes. Explosive damage through structures – Update v6.21 As Fortnite has progressed, winning in competitive has become more and more focused on your ability to ‘turtle’ and rotate to the next safe zone safely, using the least amount of resources. With the turtling meta becoming prominent in Season 6, Epic Games added one of the most ridiculous changes to explosive weapons. In the v6.21 update, projectiles would actually deal damage through structures. If an RPG missile hit your wall, not you, you would take 25% of the weapon’s damage capability. The backlash to the weapon was almost instant, given the abundance of explosive weapons that were available to use. Epic quickly reverted the change and have sought other methods to counter turtling since such as the storm flip or stink bombs. So there you have it, our list of the top five most controversial updates in Fortnite. As fans continue to bemoan the addition of the mech, Epic Games provided a ‘philosophy update’ which confirmed the vehicle was here to stay to benefit new players. With some top Fortnite streamers such as Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop heading to Minecraft, only time will tell if the developer has a change of heart.

  • Top Fortnite Content Creators React to Building Nerf and Storm Changes in Latest Update – Ft. Ali-A, Myth, Cloakzy, and More! – Dexerto

Top Fortnite Content Creators React to Building Nerf and Storm Changes in Latest Update – Ft. Ali-A, Myth, Cloakzy, and More! The recently released v5.1.0 Update in Fortnite has brought with it some major in-game changes, not all of which have been positively received. The biggest areas of concern are the changes made to health of building materials and the wait and shrink times of various Storm Circle safe-zones. Here are all of all changes made to materials, as listed in the v5.1.0 Patch notes: Wood wall starting health to 80 from 100. – Stone wall starting health to 80 from 90. – Wood wall max health to 150 from 200. – Metal wall max health to 500 from 400. – Metal build time to 25s from 20s. – The Storm Circle and safe-zone changes are as follows: Safezone 2 wait time to 120 from 150. – Safezone 2 shrink time to 120 from 90. – Safezone 4 wait time to 90 from 120. – Safezone 6 wait time to 60 from 90. – Safezone 7 wait time to 45 from 60. – Safezone 8 wait time to 30 from 60. – Safezone 9 wait time to 30 from 45. – Added moving circle to Safezone 6. – These changes have drawn the ire of various Fortnite pro players and content creators, many of whom rely on strong building skills to outfight their opponents. With the game full of high fire-rate weapons and powerful explosives, some feel that this is yet another step from Epic Games to deliberately taking the emphasis away from building so to shrink the skill gap. The reactions to the Storm Circle changes have not been as harsh or negative, and most agree that the pace and overall time of each match will be considerably quickened. We have compiled some tweets from influencers reacting to this building bluff, and have listed them below for your convenience. – Ali-A Wood getting a nerf in today’s update, will be interesting to see how this will impact gameplay pic.twitter.com/jIGxQdjBnt — Ali-A (@OMGitsAliA) July 24, 2018 FaZe Cloak SMG seems way more powerful than it is right now because of the building nerf by the way. — FaZe Cloak (@cloakzy) July 24, 2018 TSM Myth I just love this patch soo much already, I havent even played a game yet… BUT THEM PATCH NOTES — Myth (@TSM_Myth) July 24, 2018 TSM HighDistortion I_AM_WILDCAT Woke up to see not only that the new SMG was added…but building was nerfed again. • Top 5 rarest items in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Top 5 rarest items in Fortnite Chapter 2 Fortnite Chapter 2 launched on Tuesday, October 15, and although Epic Games still haven’t released patch notes yet, players are already clamoring to try out all of the rarest items in the game. While players might have always sought out the Legendary Assault Rifle (Scar) or – before it was vaulted for Chapter 2 – the Heavy Sniper, the title’s latest major update introduced some fresh content for fans to explore. Weapons have been unvaulted and the loot pool has changed pretty drastically. Although there aren’t any specific statistics in place, or resources to find out from, we’ve been playing Fortnite manically to discover which items are the rarest to find in Chapter 2. So, let’s take a look through our list. Legendary Assault Rifle (Gold SCAR) As always, the gold Scar is one of the most elusive weapons in the game, with incredible accuracy and damage, this can be an absolutely devastating weapon in the right hands. Epic Games obviously decided this weapon was far too important to remove from the game. After all, it’s almost become a staple of the Fortnite experience, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy to find. In fact, it’s anything but. Supply Llamas Llamas aren’t a new addition to the game, having first been introduced during Season 3, when three llamas full of materials and loot would be placed randomly on the map for players to search, and finding them was like hitting a gold mine. Even with the increase from three llamas per game to five, finding a llama is still incredibly rare and could be a complete game-changer. The odd game that you find one will mean a lot of time saved by not farming as much – meaning you can hunt eliminations much easier. Legendary Burst Assault Rifle (Gold AUG) Returning in the Epic and Legendary varieties is the burst assault rifle, which has been vaulted and unvaulted several times now. Before writing this guide, we had to check this was even in the game because we hadn’t found one yet. Although it was previously in the game, the weapon has changed from being modeled off a FAMAS, to now looking more like an AUG. Coming back with Epic and Legendary variants has been a way to really spice up the meta where assault rifles are concerned, being a genuine contender against the gold Scar depending on the situation, how far into the game you are and dependent on your personal play style. Mythic Goldfish The Mythic Goldfish is the rarest item ever added to Fortnite Battle Royale, without a shadow of a doubt. So much so that for the first few days of Chapter 2 being out, most believed it to be just that… A myth. However, as time went on, they started gradually appearing here and there, categoric proof that it does exist. Not only does it exist, but it can also kill enemies in one hit. Throwing it at an enemy can deal 200 damage to them – all health and shields gone – but you have to be deadly accurate to make use of it. Legendary Pump Shotgun The release of Fortnite Chapter 2 has seen much more balance between the tactical and pump shotguns; whereas before the tac was more of a novelty item, with not many choosing it over the pump, the opposite now seems to be in effect. While most are opting for the tactical shotgun, the return of the legendary pump has become the most desired shotgun in the game simply for its raw power. One good hit could be an all-important elimination. So there are some of the rarest items in Fortnite Chapter 2 – finding one of these could be the difference between a quick death or a Victory Royale, so keep your eyes peeled. The revival of Fortnite and the rare items in the game has been a big talking point within the community, with even the likes of shroud and Dr Disrespect disagreeing over whether it’s the best battle royale game.

  • Top 5 places Epic Games should destroy with Fortnite’s Earthquake – Dexerto

Top 5 places Epic Games should destroy with Fortnite’s Earthquake Fortnite‘s map is cracking all over the place ahead of Season 8, and while many fans are hoping that their favorite locations will be safe after the earthquake, we have a list of places we want to see obliterated in the chaos. The Battle Royale game mode has undergone a number of major changes since it was first released in September, 2017, and no matter how popular or unpopular some destinations have become, there’s always been a risk that they could be removed from the game. After Fortnite’s earthquake event started on February 14, with tremors and some small cracks, some major damage has been dealt to the island – with splits in the map appearing everywhere from Tomato Temple to Lazy Links. With speculation increasing about the potential destruction of Wailing Woods and Tilted Towers, it got us thinking which places we’d like to see stay and go. While it’s difficult to predict where will be hit worst by the quake, we’re hoping that Epic Games uses this as an opportunity to destroy these five locations… Paradise Palms You might have guessed that this location would be included in our list, based on the feature image, so let’s get this one out of the way. Paradise Palms is one of the biggest parts of the desert biome, standing alongside other popular destinations like the race track and a western town packed full of loot, and that’s partly the reason that we’d like to see it destroyed. Epic Games could use the earthquake as a chance to open up a great canyon between the race track and the town – perhaps connecting the two with bridges. This would bring a much more interesting dynamic to the desert biome and would eliminate, frankly, one of the map’s lesser locations. Not many people tend to drop here, so why not? Dusty Divot ‘Dusty’ was one of the original spots included in Season 1 of Fortnite Battle Royale, but has had a pretty rough ride since – that’s for sure. Formerly Dusty Depot, the location was struck by a meteor in Season 4. The even destroyed the factory and has been left as a giant hole in the ground ever since. Afterwards, a research facility was built here and it has never been the same. The Divot now stands as a very overgrown, derelict location, a shadow of its old self. While it does sound like a tragic story, let’s face it… It’s already half way there in terms of being destroyed. Hopefully Epic finishes off what it started and removes it once and for all. Pleasant Park Not many of Fortnite Battle Royale’s Season 1 locations have been left alone, but Pleasant Park is one that has been left pretty much untouched by Epic Games. The large suburban town hosted the tremendously successful in-game event on February 2, as EDM DJ Marshmello attracted over 10 million concurrent players, but we’re hoping that this was its last hurrah. However, Pleasant is taking up a particularly large section of the map that could be used for much more than just a strip of low houses. In fact, if Epic wanted to take the concert thing to the next level, they could replace it with a huge stadium or arena – similar in size to the DM Arena that featured on The Block, but host regular events there. Shake things up! Viking Mountain This is one of the more unusual locations on the map. The Viking Mountain was added on top of a waterfall in Season 5 and remains unnamed in Fortnite. Judging by the huge tremors that are rumbling their way across Battle Royale, it’s surely only a matter of time before that boat comes crashing to the ground – or, so we hope. There was a total of 11 chests on this mountain in Season 7, which is a rather high number considering it’s not a major location. However, after being added in Season 5, we’re hoping that it will sail out of the game in Season 8. Lucky Landing We’ve not really seen the full effect of the earthquake just yet, but something tells us that this traditional Asia-inspired location won’t be so ‘lucky’ for much longer. Lucky Landing is based on the south side of the map and was fortunate to escape removal at the start of Season 7, after a number of nearby spots like Flush Factory and Greasy Grove were cut in the southwest. It might be one of the more popular destinations on the outer rim, but fans will be expecting some big changes in Season 8 as Fortnite faces increased competition from other battle royale games like Apex Legends, PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds and Call of Duty Blackout. Big changes to the landscape could do just that.

  • Top 5 places we don’t want to see destroyed by Fortnite’s earthquake – Dexerto

Top 5 places we don’t want to see destroyed by Fortnite’s earthquake Fortnite‘s earthquake is starting to heat up ahead of Season 8 and while many fans can’t wait to see what happens, we’re hoping Epic Games doesn’t destroy any of these five destinations. The in-game event, which seems to be breaking up parts of the map already, started to get underway on February 14 as players spotted huge cracks appear throughout the map. After one hit a small hill southwest of Tomato Temple, we started thinking about the levels of destruction the earthquake could potentially cause. So, here’s five places that we hope won’t be damaged by the quake. Wailing Woods If Fortnite were going to make us take this earthquake event seriously, you would expect to see utter destruction and chaos. You would expect to see trees crashing against each other and a large area of the ground splitting in different directions – to really capture the moment. Sadly, though, that could mean the end of Wailing Woods – a location that has been a mainstay since the game was first launched. A few cracks have already been sighted near the location as well, which could be the beginning of the end. Nevertheless, we hope that this drop destination isn’t completely destroyed, but rather adapted as we’ve seen in the past with other original points of interest – like Loot Lake and Dusty Divot, which was formerly Dusty Depot. The developer should keep some of the original pieces of the puzzle in the game and Wailing falls under that category for sure. Its chances of survival do look slimmer with every crack, though. Tilted Towers Tilted Towers could be seen as quite a polarizing location in Fortnite. While some players enjoyed the carnage of around half of the session landing here when it was first added in Patch 2.0, others do avoid the area as it tends to be very populated indeed. It’s one of the most lucrative spots for a player to land at, though, with over 35 chests scattered around the buildings there in Season 7 and we’d like to see it protected during the earthquake. It’s a location like no other, in terms of the size of the buildings, and we’d like to see it stick around for a few more seasons at least. Things aren’t looking too good for the popular landing spot, though, as leaks are pointing to its eventual destruction by the end of this event. Fatal Fields We’re definitely guilty of a bit of nostalgia with this inclusion, but it would be nice if Epic decided to keep some of the original destinations around for a bit longer. With the earthquake quickly splitting parts of the map up, there’s a good chance that some of the older drop points could take the hit – but, we’re confident that Fatal Fields will live to see fights for another day. The additions that have been made to Fatal, particularly the long grass – plus the removal of Anarchy Acres – makes it one of the most unique settings in the game right now. So, we’d like to think that there won’t be a huge split down the middle of it in a few weeks time, but you never know. Western Town Fortnite hasn’t really given this place a name yet. However, those that drop here will know exactly why it’s been included in this list. The ‘Western Town,’ as some fans have decided to call it, is home to an astonishing 19 chests in total – which is a lot if you consider its size. Found on the southeast side of the island, the place is tiny but there’s loot to be found all over the place. Walking through, all you can hear is noises of chests and people opening them. Surely, this shouldn’t be taken away. Areas like this take people away from dropping at key locations and allows players to evenly distribute across the map at the start of games. Hopefully, it’s going nowhere any time soon. Abandoned Mansion Look, the mansion was added to Fortnite back in Season 4 and it’s had a pretty rough ride ever since. When you walk past this destination, you’ll know what we’re talking about. For what was once a beautiful addition to Battle Royale, the Mansion has since been completely abandoned, overgrown and left to rot by its owner – whoever that may be. The Ice King? He seems to have disappeared of late. Anyway, this is a fantastic place to drop for players. There’s a load of loot to be found here and while it might be located on the outside rim of the map’s east side – near the huge race track – there’s an X-4 Stormwing plane hidden in its lower floor to get you back towards the circle. Just one little shake from this earthquake could take it out and we don’t want that to happen!

  • Top 5 items that need nerfed in Fortnite Season 10 – Dexerto

Top 5 items that need nerfed in Fortnite Season 10 Fortnite Season 10 is just around the corner with a host of changes and updates to be expected – here are five weapons which could use some balancing in the new season. Fortnite’s weekly patches and content updates keep the game fresh and allow Epic Games to quickly make adjustments to various weapons and items to ensure the meta is balanced. In Season 9, many weapons – including the drum gun and combat shotgun – have received small alterations after players complained that they were too overpowered. With Season 10 fast approaching, here are five weapons that definitely need some tuning. Heavy Sniper First and foremost, we need to talk about the heavy sniper. The weapon was first introduced in Season 5, available in both Epic and Legendary variants. Since then, it hasn’t been adjusted in terms of stats, meaning it is capable of dealing at least 150 damage anywhere on an enemy. Given the rarity of finding yourself on max health and shields during a regular game, having a weapon that is so powerful with little bullet drop needs to change. A nerf to around 140 damage per shot would suffice and give players who haven’t found max shield the chance to survive. Stink Bombs Introduced back in Season 4, Stink Bombs are the perfect counter for enemies looking to turtle in their builds, meaning they play a massive part during hectic end games in tournaments. Dealing five damage per tick, they can quickly drain an opponent’s health by simply targeting their general location. As you can carry a stack of six, and throw them in rapid succession, players often have no chance to avoid damage – unless they were nerfed in a future update. Adding a small delay just before damage is inflicted, similar to the current storm tick, would be one way to further balance this throwable. Combat Shotgun Controversially, the combat shotgun replaced the fan favorite pump back at the start of Season 9, rapidly changing the meta. The gun quickly become one of the most powerful weapons in the game, dealing huge damage – extremely quickly – from massive range. Despite being adjusted over the course of the season, the combat remains the number one shotgun to have, even after the pump was reintroduced. A small change to the weapon’s fire rate and range would be ideal for the upcoming season to allow for a balanced shotgun pool. Damage Traps Present in the game since Season 1, damage traps have received multiple changes over the last year but continue to divide the player base. The uncommon item has become increasingly important in competitive play in order to counter players breaking into the safety of your builds. However, 150 damage per trap seems excessive for an item that can be spammed at times. A damage reduction to around the 125 mark would mean 150 health is enough to survive one trap, while still allowing skilled players, who can hit their enemy with two traps, the elimination. The Baller The Baller vehicle was added to the game in Season 8 and revolutionized the Fortnite competitive scene, allowing players to gain easy placements points during tournaments by avoiding damage in the safety of their ball. Eventually, it was nerfed to 150 health, but The Baller still remains an issue. Read More: Top 10 players who didn’t qualify for the Fortnite World Cup – Ninja, Cloak, Chap and more – Indeed, the balls can be easily broken, but many players are concentrating on safe passage to the safe zone rather than breaking their opponent’s vehicle. The primary focus on this vehicle should be navigating the first circles, not the hectic end game; adding a mechanic to break vehicles after the third circle would be welcome. When does Season 10 start? Fortnite Season 10 will likely start on August 1 with a major new update for the game, alongside a host of changes to the map, and likely some sort of new weapon or item. There has been no official announcement from Epic Games so stay tuned to Dexerto for any developments.

Now, with a new trio due to Zayt’s retirement, Stretch looks to catapult his team game mode results even further this year, as he has already established himself as one of the best solo players in the world. Evan “Cented” Barron – Benjy “Benjyfishy” David Fish – Tai “TaySon” Starčič – Henrik “Hen” Mclean – Malachi “Reverse2k” Greiner – Rocco “Saf” Morales – Josh “Commandment” Roach – Slackes – looter – Diego “Arkhram” Lima – Brodie “rehx” Franks – Mero – Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen – Thiago “K1nG” Lapp – Cody “Clix” Concord – There are countless others that rightfully deserve a spot on our list, and we think there is an ample amount of amazing players in Fortnite right now. Names such as Avery, Deyy, KuKi, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, and Alexandre “Andilex” Christophe are names that barely missed our cut. But, with a lot of Fortnite to still be played this year, we can assume these players will make the jump soon!

While Epic’s esports ventures have been widely criticized in the past, it’s undeniable how much money is in the game. A pledge of $100 million in 2020 got pro players salivating. The Fortnite World Cup in 2019 alone was worth $30 million. This led to a drastic shake-up in the earnings list, where pros who won thousands before the World Cup were shuffled down the list in favor of those who peaked in July 2019. This was most noticeable with former highest earner Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller. The American dropped from first to 16th over the course of a weekend, and now currently sits in 18th with just shy of $600,000 of prize money. On that fateful weekend, players turned into instant millionaires. There’s now a dozen Fortnite players with earnings over $1 million, most of whom got their prize purse from the World Cup in 2019. Read more: Full list of Fortnite world records – Solos winner Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf was the main beneficiary from the $30 million prize pool. The then-16-year-old picked up $3 million for winning solos, pumping up his numbers to $3,071,383. Duos winners Aqua and Nyhrox sit in second and fourth respectively, each with over $1.5 million. The player splitting the duo is solos runner-up Harrison ‘psalm’ Chang. He earned almost $1.9 million in Fortnite before making the switch to Valorant in mid-2020. He is currently playing on the Homeless roster, but is yet to find a permanent team in Riot’s hit FPS title. Since the World Cup in 2019, there’s been plenty of play for online. Between Daily Cups, FNCS Seasons, and Invitationals, millions of dollars have been handed out to the best Fortnite players globally. However, until the Fortnite World Cup rocks up again, it’s unlikely we will see any of these pros dislodged from their top spots. The event has been canceled for 2020, but come 2021, there’s bound to be thousands of hungry stars looking to eat up the same success as their predecessors. • Top 10 vaulted Fortnite weapons or items we want to return – Dexerto

Top 10 vaulted Fortnite weapons or items we want to return Brought to you by Fortnite Battle Royale Collection Mini Figures from Moose Toys, which you can discover more about here. While the Fortnite Battle Royale vault continues to grow with each passing update, Epic Games is no stranger to bringing items back after taking time to readjust them. Fortnite’s vault started out incredibly meager with just seven weapons and items locked away during the first year of release. In the last five months alone, however, the vault has ballooned to include almost 30 items and weapons, with many of them being fan favorites. Since Epic Games has been known to bring some things back from the dead, we’ve come up with the top 10 weapons or items we’d like to see make a triumphant return. 1) Heavy Shotgun While the Heavy Shotgun entered Fortnite in a bit of an overpowered state on March 22, 2018, the weapon saw a number of balance changes that brought it in line with other shotguns in the game. As such, it quickly became one of the go-to shotguns for many players. As long as Epic Games is able to keep this weapon balanced, there’s no reason it can’t make a return in the near future. 2) Bouncer The Bouncer only saw the light of day for a few months before it was thrown into the vault, but it’s a decision that still haunts many Fortnite fans to this day. Allowing for tons of mobility, Bouncers factored into many player’s strategies as it gave them the ability to easily make rotations in the late game, leading to plenty of high-octane finishes to games. Things simply haven’t been the same since the Bouncers got locked away. 3) Burst Assault Rifle Despite being one of the original weapons that launched with Fortnite back in September 2017, every variant of the Burst Assault Rifle was vaulted over the course of three weeks in January 2019. While the standard Assault Rifles are still available, the Burst had become the preferred weapon of many players over the course of Fortnite’s lifespan. As one of the main staples of Fortnite, it would be a shame if this weapon never made a return. 4) Grappler Much like the Bouncer, Grapplers were frequently used in many player’s loadouts as it allowed players to (literally) reach new heights and increased the overall mobility of the game. While there were balance issues and a pretty nasty bug that had been discovered in the days leading up to the item’s vaulting, this is one item that many would love to see return at some point down the line. 5) Drum Gun The Drum Gun might have been a sore spot for many players prior to its vaulting, but given the increased prevalence of defensive play in the current Fortnite meta, bringing the Drum Gun back could lead to more aggressive playstyles. The infamous weapon would surely need some fairly major tweaks to prevent it from returning to its previous overpowered state, but it could end up being a breath of fresh air for what’s becoming an increasingly frustrating meta for many players. 6) Light Machine Gun Now, it’s true that the LMG was quite a terror prior to being placed in the vault due to the fact that it could shred through structures with relative ease. With some tweaks, however, it could easily find a new place in the current Fortnite meta. The best possible route to bringing this back would be to simply swap it with the Minigun, which hardly sees any use at the moment. Balancing the LMG to be a perfect middle ground between the Minigun and pre-vault LMG could give new life to the vaulted weapon. 7) Semi-Auto Sniper While some of the other sniper rifles in Fortnite Battle Royale frequently stole the show, there could certainly still be a place for the Semi-Auto. One of the biggest issues with this particular sniper was that even a headshot didn’t deal enough damage to kill an enemy with full health and shields. This could be remedied if the weapon received a buff to its headshot multiplier that gave it enough power to overcome full shields. The base damage could be left alone so as not to make it too strong, but a higher headshot multiplier could be just what is needed to bring glory to the rarely used Semi-Auto. 8) Submachine Gun Sure, the Compact SMG is still in the game, but given that it only comes in Epic and Legendary variants, it can be a bit hard to come by. Not only that, but the Suppressed SMG simply doesn’t perform as well as the classic SMG. Since an SMG is mainly used for close-range gameplay, there’s not much need to be stealthy with a suppressed version of the weapon. Simply swapping out the Suppressed SMG for the classic SMG seems to be a no-brainer at this point. 9) Smoke Grenade While many saw the Smoke Grenades as one of the most useless items in the game, it’s possible they could find a healthy place with a massive overhaul. One of the main issues is that the item takes up a precious spot in your inventory. If Epic Games were to create a separate ‘Throwables’ category that included Grenades, Boogie Bombs, and any other item that is thrown, the Smoke Grenades could easily find use. Creating a new category in player’s inventories – much like how traps don’t take up a weapon slot – would allow plenty of diversity in what new items Epic could add without forcing players to give up weapons to use them. 10) Infinity Blade Before anyone overreacts, our suggestion here would be to bring the Blade out of the vault and place it into its own game mode similar to the popular Infinity Gauntlet limited-time-mode featuring Marvel’s Thanos. There’s no denying that the Infinity Blade was far too overpowered to be in normal game modes, but a playlist dedicated to the powerful weapon could certainly appeal to a large section of the Fortnite community. Epic Games could even give every player in the playlist an Infinity Blade to make things even more chaotic. As long as it’s kept far away from normal game modes, there’s no reason why the Blade can’t come back to Fortnite one day.

  • 10 Fortnite tips for noobs jumping into Chapter 2 – Dexerto

10 Fortnite tips for noobs jumping into Chapter 2 Epic GamesIn partnership with Chipotle. Find out more about the Chipotle Challenger Series here. Chapter 2 has completely overhauled Epic’s battle royale game as we know it and, as a result, is appealing to fans new and old alike. Here are 10 Fortnite tips for noobs that will help you compete with the best on the new map. [jwplayer msmrw58e-SUloKWJP] On the surface, Fortnite looks like a pretty simple game but there’s a surprising amount of depth that goes into it. Unlike other battle royales, Fortnite features a building mechanic that helps it stand apart from the crowd, but perfecting that as a player takes hours upon hours of practice. It’s a daunting task but simply playing each day will pay dividends. Luckily, there are some other tips you can pick up on as you’re learning the ropes. 10. Don’t forget to fish Fishing is a new mechanic that was introduced in Chapter 2 and it completely changes the game. Many long-time players might overlook fishing and loot the normal way, but fishing is actually a very good way to loot on its own. Fishing might actually end up being the best early-game strategy in some situations as you’re able to catch weapons, healing items, and even building materials just by casting your line for a minute or two. One thing you will have to be wary of is fishing out in the open, because you will definitely be a big target if someone catches you with just a rod. 9. Find your drop spot If you watch the best players play Fortnite, you’ll notice that a lot of them have a dedicated drop spot that they land at every game. Learning one or two spots on the map inside-out will greatly speed up your early-game looting as you learn where everything is. Knowing where the chests spawn in a location will allow you to get to them fast and give you an edge over players who don’t know where to go. Of course, you can’t always get a good drop at one specific location, which is why it’s important to learn a couple of them. Repetition is key so you might even want to figure out your looting path for a few games, even if it doesn’t result in a win. 8. Watch pro players This sort of ties in with the last tip about seeing pros land in certain spots. Watching someone play Fortnite at a high level will help you learn a lot about the game. Of course, seeing them come out on top in a lengthy build fight won’t exactly teach you how to do that yourself, but you will learn how to handle those situations once you’re skilled enough mechanically. Despite that, knowing what to do in a given situation is half the battle and eventually, everything will start clicking and you’ll be thanking yourself that you found yourself watching Tfue that one time. 7. Keep a balanced loadout Having the right weapons in your inventory is very important if you want to earn your way to a Victory Royale. Read more: How to upgrade weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Your early-game looting is important, but you have to make sure it isn’t the only time you loot. Having a loadout of guns and healing items will be key if you want to come away with a win. To go even more in-depth, you’ll want to make sure you have an assortment of weapons. A good recommendation would be to have an assault rifle, shotgun, sniper, explosive, and healing item. It’s a well-rounded inventory that will allow you to handle practically every situation. 6. Don’t forget to farm materials Materials are arguably the most important part of Fortnite as you’ll need to be building a lot to remain competitive. You might be able to make it through much of the early-game and even the mid-game without building, but once you reach the final stages of a game, it’ll be difficult to win without having materials. Having extensive knowledge of how to build will give you an advantage, but just having the option to build ramps and walls will come in handy. However, you won’t be able to do this without having any supplies. If you’re in a normal lobby, you’ll have to whack trees, walls, cars, and everything else for materials, but in Arena, you can do this by just earning eliminations. Whatever the method is, you’ll want to make sure you have materials. 5. Wear headphones while playing If you’re already doing this, then you’re a step ahead of many other players. Sound is important in any game but it’s especially important in a game like Fortnite. With everybody out to get you, it’s important to know where they are coming from. If you can hear footsteps approaching, you’ll be able to prepare yourself and potentially get the jump on them. Another situation where a pair of headphones will come in handy is when you’re inside a building trying to figure out if the footsteps are coming from above or below you. Knowing this information is key if you want to have a fighting chance in Fortnite Chapter 2. 4. Using a controller? Experiment with the settings Controller players have a lot of different settings they can mess around with but for most players, it will come down to a debate between using Combat Pro and Builder Pro. As you learn the game, you should mess around with all of them but picking either one will greatly improve your play in Fortnite. Building is very important in Fortnite Chapter 2 so Builder Pro will help you create structures faster than any other setting, while Combat Pro will favor those who like to take fights first and build second. Give a couple of games a go with each setting to see which one works for you. 3. Take advantage of the boats Chapter 2’s new map introduced a lot of waterways and the best way to navigate those is with a boat. Obviously, you’ll be able to find the boats around water, but using them is a different beast altogether. The boats are armed with rocket launchers which can be deadly, but they won’t always be the best idea, especially if you’re playing by yourself. That said, boats are still a great rotational tool so stay near one if you can. Read More: How to use the boat in Fortnite Chapter 2 – One thing you might not know about the boats is that they can actually travel on land through the use of their boost, but you’ll be a huge target that way. Also, boats can be quite noisy so you might end up being targeted by multiple people looking for an easy elimination. 2. Don’t take every fight Just because you see an enemy across the map doesn’t mean you have to engage with them. Sometimes it’s better if you just hang back and focus on other things like looting or figuring out where you’re going to rotate to next. You want to make sure you have a good stock of building materials and weapons before you get into battles or you’ll just be finding yourself back in the lobby in no time. Pay attention to your surroundings – if you see someone fighting another person, you might be able to come in and clean them both up while they are weak. Players complain about being ‘third-partied’ all the time, but it’s a good strategy for some easy eliminations. 1. Practice, practice, practice It’s a saying as old as time but practising is definitely the best way for you to improve in Fortnite Chapter 2. Knowing what to do is good but actually doing it is a different matter. Taking in all of these tips won’t mean anything if you don’t put in the hours. Fortnite Chapter 2 represents a good jumping in point for anyone who has never tried the game before so you won’t be alone. With the addition of skill-based matchmaking near the end of Season 10, new players will all be matched up with each other so don’t worry if you’re a noob. Bots have also arrived to help newer players get a grasp of how Fortnite works while also allowing them to have a bit of fun. There you have it – follow those 10 tips for noob players and it’ll help make Fortnite Chapter 2 a much more enjoyable experience. We hope to see you on the Battle Bus soon!

  • Tomato Head is Back on Fortnite Map – But Not as Expected – Dexerto

Tomato Head is Back on Fortnite Map – But Not as Expected Epic GamesThe mysterious rift in Tomato Town has finally opened up and disappeared, leaving a stone Tomato Head behind where the original head used to be. The strange stone version of the head is a lot smaller than the previous, and it is unclear what the significance is, or if it is simply a light touch from Epic Games. The rift in Tomato Town was only spotted recently, and fans immediately began to speculate that it signalled the return of the Tomato Man mascot himself, but those fans will be disappointed. Video footage courtesy of u/Gavine0515 shows the rift dropping the new stone head. This is the first rift seen that is ‘returning’ map items that were removed previously at the end of season 4. Season 5 has left these rifts dotted around various areas on the maps, and so it is possible that lots of map items from the previous season will return – but perhaps in stone form. Epic Games are seemingly infinitely creative with remoulding the Fortnite Battle Royale map regularly to keep it fresh, especially for players who are putting countless hours into the game. More: Recap and Current Standings of Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ $500K Week 6 Tournament (Day Two) – NA and EU – Only three weeks remain in Season 5, so this Stone Tomato Head could be a clue towards the build up for Season 6, but it is impossible to know at this early stage.

  • TmarTn has a Simple Solution for Fortnite Players Keyboarding on Consoles – Dexerto

TmarTn has a Simple Solution for Fortnite Players Keyboarding on Consoles The Fortnite Summer Skirmish has come under fire after allegations of cheating surfaced against the winner of the July 20 event. Some of the allegations involved console players using a keyboard and mouse to gain an advantage and it has sparked a debate within the Fortnite community. Keyboarding on console has been a potential issue in competitions across all games, but YouTuber Trevor ‘TmarTn’ Martin has a solution for the issue in Fortnite. He tweeted his simple problem solver in response to Epic’s quote about not restricting input devices to promote accessibility. Allow them to play KB&M on console Put them in PC lobbies if they do Problem solved 🙂 — TmarTn (@TmarTn) July 21, 2018 TmarTn would like to see those using a keyboard on console to match with PC lobbies in Fortnite. The solution may not seem simple to Epic Games, who would have to detect what input a player is using every time they queue into matchmaking. There is also the issue of third party adapters which can mask a user’s input device. Keyboarding on console provides an advantage in shooting due to the increased accuracy of a mouse, however it is an even bigger advantage to have a keyboard in a command heavy game like Fortnite. While the community argues over what to do with console players looking to gain an advantage, it is worth noting that Epic Games has cleared the winner of the Summer Skirmish of all wrongdoing. Read More: Fortnite Pro WishYouLuck is Tired of Slander After a Player is Accused of Cheating in Summer Skirmish – No evidence has been found to suggest keyboarding is a problem in official Fortnite competitions but it could still be an issue in public lobbies for non-pro players. Do you agree with TmarTn’s solution of having console keyboard users match into PC lobbies?

  • TNT Bundle item coming to Fortnite Battle Royale according to leaks – Dexerto

TNT Bundle item coming to Fortnite Battle Royale according to leaks Following the v6.30 update to Fortnite, data miners have discovered new game files indicating that a new item will be coming soon, named ‘TNT Bundle’. As with every major Fortnite update, new secrets are often uncovered by data miners who dig through the game files for any new additions. After v6.30, assets were discovered for an item named ‘T-T-Icon-BR-TNT-Bundle-L’, a new explosive weapon that will presumably function similarly to the recently vaulted C4. There is currently no shortage of other explosive weapons in Fortnite though, so the news of this TNT possibly being added will not please all players. Although there are no details yet, the TNT will likely be throwable or placeable, and would deal serious damage to structures. With the C4 vaulted so recently though, it begs the question why the developers would vault an item only to add something so similar, so perhaps this TNT Bundle will function completely differently. Of course this is just a leak from the game files, so there is nothing official yet. It’s possible that this TNT Bundle is still very much a work in progress, and may never see the light of day in game. If it does operate like the remote explosives, their would be significant backlash from the community, much of which was vocally against such items in the past. Epic Games never fails to surprise however, for better or for worse, so whatever the intention of this TNT Bundle is, it would be an intriguing addition.

  • Titled Towers skate park is another reason Fortnite needs a save build option – Dexerto

Titled Towers skate park is another reason Fortnite needs a save build option A very creative Fortnite fan designed and built an entire skate park in the middle of Tilted Towers, putting the new Chiller Trap to good use – just another example of why a ‘save build’ option is needed. When Epic Games first added the Playground mode to Fortnite, they voiced their excitement of seeing what crazy builds the community would come up with. The mode grants extra building resources, respawns and no enemies, plus an hour worth of playtime – giving players plenty of opportunity to let their Fortnite creativity flow. But, despite Epic Games encouraging players to create intricate and complicated designs, they have never implemented an option to save the build or game state. This means that once time runs down, whatever masterpieces players have architected will be lost forever – including this incredible skate park design. Shared by u/notnellaf or Reddit, the Chiller Traps emulate the motion of a skateboarder riding around, as they hit the rails and ramps all perfectly linked together. The ability to save maps could also open a whole new avenue of community engagement, perhaps even having the best fan created maps available to play on in a special playlist. Another issue is the timer, because although a full hour is generous, it is also restrictive for players with more grand designs in mind. The creator this skate park even explained how they were pressured for time, and had to cut some building time in order to capture it in use to share. Unfortunately, having unlimited time in Playground mode would likely place unsustainable strain on the Fortnite servers – but perhaps an offline mode could be feasible.

  • TimTheTatman rallies fans to keep Fortnite OG permanently – Dexerto

TimTheTatman rallies fans to keep Fortnite OG permanently Epic Games / TimTheTatmanTimTheTatman urged his viewers to come together and help make Fortnite OG a permanent addition to the game. Fortnite has replicated its success from when it first launched by bringing back old map locations, weapons and more with Fortnite OG. The slower pace of the game goes back to what Fortnite was originally built on which seems to be exactly what the fan base had been wanting. The new version of the game broke a player record for Epic Games by reaching 44 million people on the second day of launch. Since then millions of players continue to flow to the servers to play the nostalgic version of their favorite game. Among those players are some of the most popular streamers and content creators from when the game was at its peak. TimTheTatman grouped up with Nickmercs, Ninja and DrDisrespect to reform one of the most famous squads. TimTheTatman says Fortnite OG “is it” After getting knocked out of a game, TimTheTatman took a moment to talk to his fans about Fortnite OG. He had previously mentioned before taking a break from the stream that Fortnite OG was one of the most enjoyable experiences he’d had in a while. Now, TimTheTatman aims to maintain that enjoyment by incorporating some version of Fortnite OG permanently. But it make take more than his viewership alone to happen. “What if we just make a video and say ‘keep OG Fortnite’ and it gets 100,000 likes,” asked TimTheTatman. “First off, I think we would need more than 100,000 signatires Tim,” said Ninja on stream with him. “Let’s start there, keep OG in.” said TimTheTatman. “And just leave it there forever,” asked Ninja. “Where would the updates be?” “Leave it forever bro, it’s it,” said TimTheTatman. “It’s it.” Epic Games has yet to reveal its plans for Fortnite OG after its initial release on November 3. Although updates will continually be pushed to the game to add more elements that bring back that nostalgic feel.

  • Is there a TimTheTatman Fortnite skin? Everything we know – Dexerto

Is there a TimTheTatman Fortnite skin? Everything we know Epic Games / TimTheTatmanEpic Games are exploring future content to come into Fortnite, and people are excited to see if that means Twitch star TimTheTatman will finally get his own skin. Here’s everything we know. There’s been growing speculation of what the Fortnite devs have planned next after a survey from Epic revealed possibilities for everything from TikTok’s Charli D’Amelio to TV shows like Family Guy. We’ve seen before that nothing is off-limits for the Fortnite metaverse, even popular streamers have been getting the in-game treatment with the massively popular ICON series. While there’s no telling what could be next, people are hoping that TimTheTatman will finally have his place in the larger Fortnite world. TimTheTatman Fortnite skin TimTheTatman still does not have a skin in Fortnite, and it remains to be seen if the developers will fit him with a digital cosmetic soon. Tim has been a huge name in Fortnite, from streaming to competitive events featuring the popular battle royale. While he’s toyed with the idea of his own skin in the past, people are more hopeful for it in 2021. TimTheTatman’s name was even included in Epic’s survey that listed different influencers and asked Fortnite players’ opinion on them. This isn’t conclusive evidence of an upcoming skin coming for Tim, but it’s a sign of Epic gauging where the fan interest lies before executing on new content. But that already got people talking about the possibility of a new cosmetic, and CouRage fueled speculation after trolling his friend in a video called ‘TimTheTatman Fortnite skin reveal.’ In it, Ninja is goofing around in one of the trash cans when CouRage jokingly congratulates TimTheTatman for having a skin of his own in Fortnite. So far the Fortnite ICON skin line features Ninja, Loserfruit, Lachlan, Lazarbeam, TheGrefg, and Bugha. It’s unknown as of yet if TimTheTatman will have his own skin, but fans seem eager for Epic to pull the trigger.

  • Time-saving Fortnite Season 3 exploit lets you quickly upgrade weapons – Dexerto

Time-saving Fortnite Season 3 exploit lets you quickly upgrade weapons Epic GamesUpgrading weapons in Fortnite Season 3 takes more than just your building materials, as it often takes quite a big amount of time away from looting. However, a new trick can help speed up the process. Bumping your lower-tier weapons up to powerful Epic or Legendary gear can often be the deciding factor in close matchups. That little bit of extra damage could be just enough to close out an elimination and help secure a victory. Unfortunately, Upgrade Benches can take quite a while to boost your weapons. Shifting from Epic to Legendary can take over 10 seconds alone. That is more than enough time for enemies to get closer and potentially take you out of the fight. A newly discovered trick from ‘kewalts’ looks to rush through this timely process, however. Speeding the upgrades considerably and getting you back in the fight faster than ever before. Here’s how it all works. While standing at an Upgrade Bench and holding down your interact button, you’ll want to start on a lower-tier weapon to boost your higher-tier weapons. For instance, if your loadout consists of an Uncommon Shotgun and an Epic SMG, begin with the Shotgun in the Bench. As this faster upgrade plays out, wait until the final moment before quickly swapping to your higher-tier weapon. If you execute this swap at the perfect time, your Epic SMG will turn into a Legendary in just a matter of seconds. In fact, this method is 12 seconds faster than the standard means of upgrading. Shifting from Epic to Legendary will still use the same amount of building materials, however, so don’t expect to cheat the system in more ways than one. This method works for every weapon type across the board. So long as you practice with the timing, you should be able to use the trick quite effectively in competitive games. While the discovery was met with praise by the Fortnite community, there’s a good chance that it won’t be in-game for long. Obviously this is not an intended trick. It’s not necessarily ‘game-breaking’ like other issues in Season 3, though it does still impact the overall experience. Epic Games is yet to comment on the matter, though it’s likely we see Upgrade Benches tweaked in the next update. Until then, be on the lookout for players upgrading their weapons faster than ever before.

  • Timthetatman explains why he’s “not having fun” on Fortnite any more – Dexerto

Timthetatman explains why he’s “not having fun” on Fortnite any more Twitch: Timthetatman / Epic GamesTim ‘Fortnite streamers in the world, but during his August 22 stream, he explained why he just isn’t having fun on the popular battle royale title any more. Like many streamers, Timthetatman saw immense growth on his channel when Fortnite released back in September 2017, and the American is often seen near the top of the game’s category on Twitch when he’s broadcasting his gameplay. The 29-year-old has grown increasingly frustrated with Epic’s battle royale juggernaut in recent weeks, and just hours before he took part in a Twitch Rivals tournament, Timthetatman explained that there was only one reason he was competing in it – and it wasn’t for fun. The streamer explained: “I’m literally at a point – and it’s hard too, man – I’m playing Fortnite today in the tournament, and that’s it. I’m not playing anymore. The only reason I’m playing is because I’d be letting DrLupo, Jordan Fisher, and my teammates down if I don’t play, but I’m not playing Fortnite before that.” “I’m not. I can’t. I’m not having fun playing Fortnite, I’m not having fun. I either win with a mech and it’s boring, or I lose to a mech and it’s boring. That is where I’m at right now.” Timthetatman concluded: “I’m not trying to yell at developers, I understand they have their own reasoning, but I’m saying me, as someone who loves the game, I’m just not having fun.” Timthetatman isn’t the only Fortnite personality to voice their frustrations, with streamers like Soleil ‘Ew0k’ Wheeler criticizing the developers, while a death at the hands of a BRUTE mech was enough to send Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop into a fit of rage, promptly quitting the Twitch Rivals tournament. While most players want the BRUTES to be vaulted entirely, Epic Games have once again released nerfs for the vehicle in the hope that they can balance them without having to remove them. Whether that will be enough to appease unhappy streamers like Timthetatman remains to be seen.

  • ‘Tilted Town’ leaked and coming soon to Fortnite – first look video, leaked images, and more – Dexerto

‘Tilted Town’ leaked and coming soon to Fortnite – first look video, leaked images, and more Epic GamesEpic Games have shuffled the pack in Fortnite Battle Royale again with the launch of its landmark tenth season with new features, but one of the game’s most popular destinations could be about to experience a drastic change. Those who watched the Season 10 Battle Pass trailer might have noticed that the developers claimed that not every two days will be the same for the game’s latest season, and dataminers have been quick to work out just what they might have been alluding to. Tilted Towers was previously one of the battle royale game’s most populated destinations, but futuristic tweaks that turned it into NEO Tilted have seemingly quelled the attraction most players had with it. However, it could soon adopt a much different design. Serial Fortnite leaker FortTory has been hard at work trying to sniff out some fresh information from the v10.00 patch since it went live on August 1, and appeared to have found an absolute gem in the process. According to screenshots and audio files posted to their Twitter account, players could soon see a brand new Western-inspired location appear in the place of NEO Tilted and potentially leaked data files suggest that it will be named ‘Tilted Town’. The name could also be a hint that the scale of the point of interest may come down, as it was once home to some of the largest structures in the battle royale mode. Yet, we can’t think of many Western movies with skyscrapers, so it’s unlikely that they will remain. There have also been a number of other map changes for the new season, including the addition of Rift Zones, return of Dusty Depot, and more. The sounds for when you enter the wild west themed tilted when its ingame! I suppose that the place has an orb around it, as you can see in the video, and when you walk through the orb you enter the wild west theme. pic.twitter.com/8j7URTd1Fq — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 1, 2019 Let’s not get carried away with the possible eventualities too soon, though. While FortTory might have built up a solid reputation of being an accurate source for many fans looking to get ahead of the curve on Fortnite news, Epic Games are still yet to confirm the existence of a Tilted Town location or plans to add it to the game. Although, that won’t stop fans of wondering just what it would look like in the meantime. For all we know, it could appear the next time you jump off that Battle Bus. Tilted Town leaked first-look video (August 2) FortTory appears to have come across a video that shows just what Tilted Town could look like in Fortnite Battle Royale and it might be very different to what fans may have expected. This is how Tilted Town will look like. remember! This is without the new buildings, im currently trying to leak them ingame! pic.twitter.com/17DdllaxUc — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 2, 2019 Having seen those original building designs, it wouldn’t be an unusual reaction to think that a new Wild West location was about to replace all of the modern buildings at NEO Tilted. Yet, this video appears to show a somewhat slower transition. As the game is updated on a weekly basis, it’s fairly possible that fans see progressive changes at the point of interest. Leaked Tilted Town images surface (August 5) Finally we have some leaked photos of what Tilted Town could eventually look like. In all honesty, this might be a bit more encouraging for fans who had watched the previously leaked video. If you wanted wild west, these images from dataminers XTigerHyperX and FNLeaksAndInfowill certainly give you that… and more. So, there you have it. Everything we know about Fortnite Season 10’s upcoming Tilted Town location. If more leaked info, images, or videos become available, we’ll be the first to let you know. • Tilted Towers may get destroyed according to new Fortnite Battle Royale leak – Dexerto

Tilted Towers may get destroyed according to new Fortnite Battle Royale leak New leaked files released by data-miners suggest that Tilted Towers may be destroyed in the near future. Tilted Towers was originally added to Fortnite during Season 2 of the popular battle royale title, and has become a fan-favorite landing spot for players who like to find action early in their matches. That may soon be a thing of the past if these leaks are accurate, as the sprawling city may soon be brought to the ground. Could A.I.M. be involved in the demolition of Tilted Towers? Dataminer FNLeak has found files in a folder named ‘ClientPilotScenarios/DestroyTiltedTowers’ that suggest robots will flood into Tilted Towers and begin to destroy the iconic location. The robots will be immortal, and will have max ammunition, using Rocket Launchers, LMGs, Grenade Launchers and Hand Cannons to bring Tilted Towers down. It’s possible that this could be linked to the A.I.M. Hunting Party skin, a robot character which has been spotted in the background of various loading screens since it was released. The A.I.M. skin was looking intently at a map in the Week 8 loading screen, which may have been plans to destroy the area. The game files now include the explicit mention of destroying Tilted Towers! “/ClientPilotScenarios/DestroyTiltedTowers” I can’t find other information apart from this picture. These lines of text have to do with bots that are configurable in some manner to attack things. pic.twitter.com/ZmdHPGcFJQ — Fortnite Leakage (@FNLeak) November 27, 2018 This isn’t the first time that Fortnite fans have believed that the end of Tilted Towers was coming. Back in Season 4, Tilted Towers was believed to be the target of the massive meteor which crashed onto the map, but instead destroyed Dusty Depot, turning it into Dusty Divot. Read More: Everything you need to know about the new modes – Team Rumble LTM and Alchemist Pop-Up Cup – While dataminers have found this in the files of the game, it doesn’t mean it will definitely happen. Events and skins have been found in the game’s files in the past, only for them to never see the light of day, leaving Fortnite fans wondering what happened to them. If Tilted Towers is destroyed, it’s likely it will take place during Season 7 which is set to start next week. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as new information becomes available.

  • Tilted Towers Receiving Repairs Following Meteor Strike in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Tilted Towers Receiving Repairs Following Meteor Strike in Fortnite Battle Royale A new patch for Fortnite Battle Royale went live on May 16th, and has brought with it a number of changes – some less obvious than others. Patch V.2.4.0 most notably added the new Burst Assault Rifle and new skins and cosmetic items – but it has also began construction on the Fortnite map itself. Any avid Fortnite fan will recall the months of speculation about a potential meteor strike on Tilted Towers – which eventually came, destroying a large portion in the center of the urban zone. It left a large crater filled with ‘hop rocks’ – which grant players jetpack like movement for around 30 seconds – similar to other areas such as Dusty Depot (aptly renamed to ‘Dusty Divot’). However, it looks like this crater will not be a permanent addition to the map, as the latest patch now has the crater filled up, and it looks like repairs have begun. This image, courtesy of Reddit user ShotGunRaids, shows Tilted Towers in its current state, complete with construction vehicles and building site props. Of course this looks like an interim map change, and we would expect future patches to continue the reconstruction of the area. Fortnite developers Epic Games are clearly attempting to give the play area the feel of a living and ever-changing landscape, in order to avoid players becoming bored of the same old. Epic Games have in the past acknowledged fans’ wishes for an entirely new map, but seem committed to working with their current canvas, before releasing a second.

  • Tilted Towers finally destroyed in Loot Lake rune event, Drum Gun unvaulted – Dexerto

Tilted Towers finally destroyed in Loot Lake rune event, Drum Gun unvaulted Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale’s much-anticipated Rune event concluded with the destruction of Retail Row and Tilted Towers, along with players voting for the return of a previous vaulted weapon – the Drum Gun. The event kicked off with the Loot Lake bunker opening up and allowing players to jump in. Once they did that they were able to beat on one of six different runes which would end up bringing the Drum Gun back into the game. Once the voting was finished players were teleported back into the regular map where they got to watch the volcano lay waste to popular points of interest. Titled Towers and Retail Row decimated The volcano erupted and sent projectiles towards Retail Row first, completely laying waste to it. Now when you load in you’ll see it’s a complete shell of itself. For those who were waiting on Epic to destroy Tilted Towers, that was also done as pretty much nothing remains of the once bustling location. TILTED AND RETAIL? However, players doing their qualifier matches might have something more deadly to look forward to. Players bring back the Drum Gun The return of the Drum Gun was voted on by players for a return, but that doesn’t mean that everyone was happy with the decision. which was a very controversial move. When the Drum Gun was first introduced into the game it was deemed to be too powerful and was removed (or ‘vaulted’). The Drum Gun will not appear in the Fortnite World Cup Online Open this weekend. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 4, 2019 Epic Games announced the Drum Gun will not appear in this weekend’s qualifiers but it sounds like we can expect to see it next week. With its return, it’s likely the meta could shift again and that could have major consequences moving forward.

TikTok star Khaby Lame Fortnite skin teased for new crossover Epic Games / Khaby LameIt’s been teased that TikTok star Khaby Lame will soon get his own Fortnite skin as part of the upcoming Chapter 4 Season 4. Several iconic figures from pop culture have appeared in Fortnite as Icon Series skins over the past few years, taking in-game customization to the next level. The popular battle royale has successfully bridged the gap between gaming and popular culture with these collaborations, honoring some of the most well-known names in entertainment. Now, it looks like TikTok star Khaby Lame could be the next celebrity to get their own skin in the game. TikTok star Khaby Lame soon to be a Fortnite Icon series skin In a TikTok video published on August 23, 2023, Khaby teased a crossover with Fortnite as he opened a mysterious box bearing the Red Crescent Moon emblem, which is one of the main hints for the game’s upcoming season. The video is captioned with “I’m in,” which is directly related to the question “Are you in?” that Epic Games has been promoting for the past few days. After Khaby uploaded the video, the official Fortnite X account published a silhouette of an upcoming character from Chapter 4 Season 4 performing the TikTok star’s signature pose. The teaser strongly suggests that Khaby will debut as an Icon Series cosmetic in the upcoming season of Fortnite. It’s unknown whether the crossover skin will be included in next season’s Battle Pass or in the Item Shop. Either way, both Khaby’s admirers and Fortnite players are extremely excited for the collaboration, as this means another well-known celebrity will be joining the game.

  • Thrusters Found in Anarchy Acres Add More Mystery to the Fortnite Rocket – Dexerto

Thrusters Found in Anarchy Acres Add More Mystery to the Fortnite Rocket It looks like Epic Games made a mistake when the V4.5 Fortnite Battle Royale patch was released as one YouTuber found a thruster from the much discussed rocket in Anarchy Acres. With the end of Season 4 in Fortnite drawing ever nearer, theories about the theme for Season 5 and more have started to pop up in just about every conversation about the game. One of the most popular subjects of discussion is the rocket situated in the the villain’s lair near Snobby Shores, whether it will launch at the end of Season 4, and where it will go if it does launch. Now one YouTuber has found a new hint related to the rocket which seems to have been accidentally released along with the V4.5 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale. Jonah Reynolds uploaded a video that seems to show the thrusters from the rocket in Anarchy Acres but they were apparently removed within about 20 minutes of being discovered. One of the main theories about the rocket is that it will eventually hit Moisty Mire, which is one of the lowest traffic areas of the map and a location that players have been asking to see changed for months. The hints about Moisty Mire came after data mining of the rocket’s audio files seemed to hint towards coordinates from that location. However, the thrusters being found in Anarchy Acres would suggest that it is heading in a different direction entirely, at least when it takes off. As with any of these leaks, nothing is confirmed, and everything is subject to change, so take it with a pinch of salt.

  • Three important tips for using Fortnite’s Shadow Stones to your advantage – Dexerto

Three important tips for using Fortnite’s Shadow Stones to your advantage Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Shadow Stones were one of the more interesting additions to the game at the start of Season 6. Shadow Stones are a consumable item that are generally found around the areas of the map that have been ‘corrupted’ by the mysterious cube. Using a Shadow Stone will allow players to enter their ‘Shadow Form’ for a short period of time. While in Shadow Form, you are unable to use weapons but become invisible while stationary and can use a special ‘phasing’ ability. If you’re still trying to work out the best way to use Shadow Stones to your advantage, MonsterDface has released a tutorial with some important factors to consider each time you find one. “While you’re in the ghost form, your character kind of moves around as if you were under the effects of a bouncer,” he explains. “You move extremely fast and you can dash around. You can dash in any single direction. So, hypothetically, if someone was hiding inside of a 1×1, you could freely push that opponent and literally vertically climb your way through the air.” Next up, the YouTuber reminds you that you cannot take damage while in your shadow form, before listing three key tips: “Being a phantom, you travel extremely fast. A lot faster than a person would on foot.” – “You can use while escaping from the storm, so it is in fact another means of transportation in the game that I think a lot of people are looking past” – “You’re super difficult to spot. Fun fact about being a ghost is that, if you stand still, you are completely invisible. When you are in a full sprint, or dashing, or running around, your character is at its most visible.” – With the corrupted areas of the map being a massive feature of Season 6, Shadow Stones are expected to be here for the long haul. If that is the case, mastering how to use them and how to counter them will be vital for any players looking to rack up victory royales.

  • Three popular weapons vaulted in November 1st Fortnite update – Dexerto

Three popular weapons vaulted in November 1st Fortnite update If you’re launching Fortnite Battle Royale on November 1st and you’re wondering where the hell some of your favorite weapons have gone, then, unfortunately, we have some bad news. Epic Games’ philosophy on weapon rotation has been one of the pillars of Fortnite’s success, with no one gun or equipment item safe from being removed if deemed no longer required. The Fortnite developers announced on Thursday, November 1 that three weapons would be removed in Update V6.21, although would still be available in Playground mode. The Guided Missile has had something of a controversial history in the game since being introduced, with many players of the opinion that it promoted camping. After being removed from rotation on a number of occasions, it’s now gone permanently. In the right hands, the Dual Pistols were an incredibly deadly option with the ability to hit destroy opponents mid-air, as FaZe Clan’s Tfue found out. They’ve joined Guided Missiles in the vault. The third and final vaulting of update V6.21 was the semi-auto sniper. Providing a peppering of bullets across a great distance made this a popular choice, and although it wasn’t really complained about, it’s now gone. You can read about all of the changes in November 1’s update by reading through our dedicated hub with full patch notes.

  • Three Fortnite pros dropped by team after FNCS cheating allegations – Dexerto

Three Fortnite pros dropped by team after FNCS cheating allegations Epic Games / MarvelThree North American Fortnite console pros have been dropped by their organization after the trio had cheating allegations leveled against them during the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) grand finals. The finals of the FNCS Duos event for Chapter 2: Season 2 have been marred with controversy in the console division. During the grand final, three players across two duos — all from the same org — have been accused of colluding with each other to ensure one of the pairs got a better placing. While Epic hasn’t rescinded their winnings, they have since been dropped from the organization. https://twitter.com/paul1x2/status/1252462590858420224 Ruben, Drew, and Fayde — all part of Fortnite team Talon — were participating in the NA-West console division of the FNCS across two separate duos. According to ‘paul1x’, who ended up winning the event, the three players intentionally dropped into the same area to ensure Ruben and Drew got more points. Paul was in a duo with zScary, who was also a part of Talon. He shared a number of screenshots on Twitter after his own success, which showed Fayde and Drew discussing where they would drop together. After the pairs agreed on dropping Salty, Ruben made the comment “don’t make it obvious,” as it was the final game of their heats. Under section 8.2.2 of the FNCS Chapter 2 Season 2 Official Rules, players may not work together to deceive or otherwise cheat other players during any match…[including agreeing] to land at specific locations or to move through the map in a planned way.” The duo had qualified after winning both Week 2 and Week 3 of the NA-West console division of FNCS. Their final game in heats secured them a place in the finals, finishing second and getting 15 eliminations. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 6:17. Gameplay has since been released by YouTuber ‘The Fortnite Guy,’ who called on Epic to ban the players, similarly to how Bucke, Kreo, Keys, and Slackes were punished. The four players were suspended for 60 days after colluding in the FNCS Warmup event just a few weeks ago. Ruben, Drew, and Fayde have since apologized for their actions, saying they’ve learned from their mistakes. They were also released from their organization, who issued a statement saying they don’t condone the players’ actions. “We don’t condone the actions of what these players have done and will not stand for it,” Talon management said in an April 21 statement. “We apologize for their actions and to those it may have affected.” https://twitter.com/TeamTalon/status/1252635757652705281 https://twitter.com/RvbennFN/status/1252762898713030657 Epic Games are yet to release a statement on the allegations, but if they are proven to be true, they are likely to affect the standings of the FNCS grand final. Drew and Ruben ended up placing in 15th, earning $875 each in the grand final played on April 19. The next season of the Fortnite Champion Series is yet to be announced.

  • Thor’s hammer crash lands in second Fortnite Season 4 teaser – Dexerto

Thor’s hammer crash lands in second Fortnite Season 4 teaser Epic GamesFortnite developers Epic Games have literally dropped the second in-game teaser for Chapter 2, Season 4, with Thor’s legendary hammer Mjölnir crash-landing into the island, planting itself firmly in the ground and leaving a giant crater in the ground. There’s never more hype around Epic Games’ ultra-popular battle royale than a new season, which are often the game’s biggest updates and shift the meta. In the game itself, it could take us to places we could have never imagined. After weeks of rumors, leaked images, and in-game teasers hinting at the possibility of Marvel’s superheroes making their presence felt on the Fortnite island, it has since been confirmed. On August 21, the first teaser dropped with the legendary ‘God of Thunder’ Thor front and center. Action really kicked off in-game on August 22 when a rift opened up above the island, while the game’s official account tweeted a cryptic message that read: “The Herald has found The Island,” accompanied by an image of Thor. What this means is unclear, but many are already theorizing that the Rift is how the superheroes will enter the world of Fortnite. The comic book that in the lobby also features Thor now, hinting that he may be the main character in the new season. Epic dropped the latest teaser on Monday, August 24, with Thor’s iconic hammer falling out of the sky and leaving a massive crater in the earth, while a countdown to Season 4 appeared in the sky above it. The situation is extremely reminiscent of the end of Iron Man 2 and the plot of the first Thor movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and players will be hoping that they eventually get to wield the mighty weapon like the God of Thunder does, smiting down enemies with lightning on their path to wins. We all know that Epic loves to tease players with what is coming next, so it’s no surprise that they have kicked things off for Fortnite Season 4, which starts on Thursday, August 27. Whether we will see classic Marvel locations appear on the map, remains to be seen, but leaks suggest that the Season 4 Battle Pass will have a number of earth’s mightiest heroes, meaning you can hunt for a Victory Royale like you’re part of The Avengers.

  • Three classic Fortnite weapons set to return from the Vault – Dexerto

Three classic Fortnite weapons set to return from the Vault Epic GamesFresh Fortnite leaks have revealed that a number of classic weapons are set to return in a limited-time mode – potentially opening up the possibility for their full returns. As Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has progressed, players have gotten what they were begging for at the start of Chapter 2 – new content and constant changes. Epic Games have been making tweaks to the loot pool, locations on the battle royale island, and bringing back the popular live in-game events. However, some fans still want more – more new weapons, locations, and different game modes in order to take down as many enemy players as possible. According to a fresh batch of Fortnite leaks, it appears as if they could be getting that wish granted. The fresh set of leaks come from data miner FortOfFans, who revealed that three currently vaulted weapons are making a return in the highly anticipated Spy Games limited-time mode that was leaked earlier this season. According to the leaker, these three weapons would be the rare Mini-Gun, the rare Heavy Sniper Rifle, and the legendary Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle. Just seeing that another version of the Heavy Sniper Rifle is making a return is enough to send chills down the spines of many players, but could this LTM really affect the current loot pool for the normal battle royale mode? https://twitter.com/FortOfFans/status/1250672164946284544 Well, the answer to that question is unknown. Epic has shown that, in recent seasons, they’ve been willing to unvault old items for limited-time modes but they usually stick there. The closest we get to having a mass unvaulting usually comes during the holiday season. The developers could very well drop a few of these unvaulted weapons into the battle royale’s main pool to shake things up ahead of Chapter 2, Season 3 but we’ll just have to wait and see as to what they decide to do.

  • Thor’s Bifrost appears as third in-game Fortnite Season 4 teaser – Dexerto

Thor’s Bifrost appears as third in-game Fortnite Season 4 teaser Epic GamesWe’re just a day away from Fortnite Season 4, and the final in-game teaser has revealed how Marvel’s superheroes have made it to the game’s island, with the Bifrost rune appearing scorched into the earth on Wednesday, August 26. Fortnite fans have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the new season since August 21, when Epic Games dropped the first teaser featuring the ‘God of Thunder’ Thor, who looks set to play a major role in the fourth season of the game’s second chapter. Since then, his iconic hammer Mjölnir has crash-landed onto the island, creating a massive crater near Salty Springs, adding further credence to the idea that he is on his way to the island. Now, that it is all but confirmed, with the rune of the Bifrost scorched into the land on August 26, signalling that he may already be in the world of Fortnite. Things really kicked off in-game on August 22 when a massive rift opened up in the sky above the island, something which we’ve seen on plenty of occasions in the past, especially when something big is about to happen. Two days later, Thor’s hammer slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater and leaving fans wondering if he would come to collect his possession. Now, it seems he may already be here, with the distinctive runes of the Bifrost appearing on the ground, hinting that Thor is already on the island, and maybe brought some help with him too. For those unaware, the Bifrost is the rainbow road that connects Thor’s home planet of Asgard with the rest of the nine realms, including earth. Thor uses it to travel from planet to planet to allow him to protect those under attack, and wherever he lands, leaves the rune of the Bifrost in that spot, burnt into the ground. The Bifrost has appeared just east of Weeping Woods on the hill with the wooden cabin, while Epic tweeted that “The War to save Reality” starts tomorrowm, with images of Captain America, Wolverine, and more. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer for answers, with Season 4 set to go live on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on August 27.

  • This winter theme and snowmobile concept would look incredible in Fortnite – Dexerto

This winter theme and snowmobile concept would look incredible in Fortnite With the Halloween themed Fortnitemares event now all wrapped up in Fortnite, the player-base is turning its attention to the next major season – winter. It’s clear that fans have high expectations for what Epic Games may have in store for the winter season, with many speculating that there could be numerous themed map changes. As is usually the case, the creative minds on Reddit have already come up with several concepts for what winter could look like in Fortnite. User ‘statum12’ suggested that Lonely Lodge should be filled with snow for the month of December, and a fast travel ski lift be added as a way to get to and from the location. According to this concept, the snowy terrain would only be in a specific location, and not spread to other places throughout the map. If a winter theme like this were to be applied to Fortnite, it would also make sense for there to be a snowmobile type vehicle added as well. Reddit user ‘snowy6191’ came up with this concept image for the ‘Snowcrasher’ vehicle, and it would likely be found in areas of the map where there would be snow. The Snowcrasher can either be a new, standalone vehicle or be a temporary replacement for the Quadcrashers that were added in recent months. Despite its design and name, the Snowcrasher would likely also be able to operate on the map’s other terrain, not just snow. While this may not make much sense, not everything in Fortnite has to be ultra realistic. Whether or not any of these ideas get added to the game remains to be seen, but players can rest assured in their expectations that there will be themed changes of some sorts made to the map. Last winter, the Battle Bus and many of the pine trees on the map were adorned with Holiday lights and ornaments, and the Grenade Launcher was adjusted to shoot exploding snowballs rather than grenades.

  • This throwable Fortnite concept would be an awesome replacement for the Chiller – Dexerto

This throwable Fortnite concept would be an awesome replacement for the Chiller A creative fan has designed a new throwable weapon that would take the place of the Chiller trap item in Fortnite Battle Royale. Dreamt up by Reddit user ‘Weinstein312’, the introduction of his new weapon would see the Chillers placed into the vault, and replaced with what he calls ‘Snow Bombs’. Created to be thrown as a grenade, and designed to look like a snowball, the explosive portion of the weapon is replaced by the head of a snowman, featuring a carrot for a nose and a smiley face made out of coal. The weapon would have an ‘Uncommon’ rarity level, and could be found in chests, supply drops or simply on the ground in stacks of three, with six being the maximum amount of Snow Bombs that players could carry in one stack. Read More: TSM’s Daequan has a solution for testing Fortnite changes without splitting the community – Snow Bombs would work much like the Boogie Bomb, which forces players to dance for five seconds or until they take damage. The Snow Bomb would freeze enemy players in place for six seconds, giving players a chance to close the distance and take the first shot at their opponent. The introduction of the Snow Bombs would be perfect in the lead up to Christmas, when Epic Games will likely begin to release some special edition holiday skins for players who would like to celebrate their love for the season in-game. Unfortunately, the Snow Bomb is just a concept created by an avid Fortnite fan, and there are currently no plans for Epic Games to add the weapon into the battle royale title.

  • This ridiculous Fortnite clip sums Season 7 up perfectly – Dexerto

This ridiculous Fortnite clip sums Season 7 up perfectly Epic GamesFortnite’s Season 7 is less than a day old and yet some players are already finding brilliant ways of utilising the newly-added X-4 Stormwing plane and Zip Lines. The Season 7 update to Fortnite is sure to provide some brilliant creativity with the addition of creative mode but the newly added modes of transport will also blow your mind as players can traverse the map in even more spectacular ways than ever. In a post to the Fortnite subreddit, user YvesSaintLebron does just that by sharing a quick video of gameplay that sums up the new season in less than 30 seconds. After opening a chest on top of a mountain, the player in the video – BradleyPB – immediately came under fire from an X-4 Stormwing plane. Building some cover, Bradley attempted to shield their self from the incoming attack plane – only to be thrown backwards off the mountain once the enemy player crashes into their cover. Seemingly resigned to their fate, Bradley free falls towards the floor, with death almost certain. However, they were saved by the Zip Line – another new addition in season 7 – and was able to zip away to safety, cheating death and landing next to a spawn location of X-4 Stormwing’s. Thanks to the new additions, we’re expecting more incredible clips like this – both the lucky ones and the more purposeful ones – from casual and professional players alike going forward.

  • This ‘Snowman’ skin for Fortnite would be the perfect Christmas outfit – Dexerto

This ‘Snowman’ skin for Fortnite would be the perfect Christmas outfit One of the best things about the massive Fortnite Battle Royale community is that members are always coming up with cool concepts, ideas and pieces of art related to the game. This can result in any number of interesting suggestion for new items, weapon and more, and Epic Games’ devotion to constantly adding new content means that there’s always a chance that a player’s concept actually makes its way to the game. One particular concept that fans would love to see get this treatment is the Snowman skin and cosmetic set that Reddit user ‘snabobo’ shared on the FortniteBR subreddit. In a post titled ‘Skin Concept: Snowman with Sapling Back Bling and Icicle Pickaxe’, snabobo shows an incredible snowman outfit with a mask that reminds us somewhat of the Tomato Head skin, a Christmas tree for back bling and a picaxe made entirely of ice. The skin would be an excellent addition to the game for the Christmas period, or simply for the winter months as players hide away from the icy temperatures outside. Another interesting idea for the skin’s name, suggested by ‘Maxibon99’, is ‘Ice Team Leader’. The design could be made to look like a polar ear to fit in with the popular Cuddle Team Leader and Fireworks Team Leader skins. ‘Hoogen646’ thinks that snabobo might be missing a trick with the name of the pickaxe, suggesting that something along the lines of ‘Ice-Sickle’ could work even better! With Fortnite’s ongoing Halloween event, Fortnitemares, still in full swing, it’s probably a little bit early to be thinking about skins relating to the festive season, but that won’t stop us from hoping to see something similar to snabobo’s concept come December.

  • This Ninja sculpture in Fortnite would be an incredible addition to The Block – Dexerto

This Ninja sculpture in Fortnite would be an incredible addition to The Block Epic Games / NinjaThere’s no denying the fact that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has had an incredible year, but being recreated as a portrait in Fortnite Battle Royale may well be his biggest achievement so far. As the most followed broadcaster on Twitch, Ninja has become the face of the platform in 2018 as well as being the face of Fortnite, the incredibly popular battle royale game that he has played for the vast majority of the year. He has won multiple awards and prizes to celebrate his success, but a fellow content creator, ‘Obey SXVXN’, went one step further on December 20 when he built an incredible Ninja sculpture in-game in Fortnite. “I built Ninja in Fortnite using 7,000 blocks,” SXVXN said on Twitter, sharing a short time lapse video of the creation process using Fortnite’s recently introduced Creative Mode. He also revealed in a follow-up statement that he will be sharing the code for players to access his island and view his work when he uploads the completed project to YouTube. I built @Ninja in @FortniteGame using 7,000+ blocks. Who should I do next? #FortniteBlockParty pic.twitter.com/YaePvtOz5X — Obey SXVXN (@Sxvxn) December 21, 2018 The portrait has been created on The Block, an area specifically introduced for content creators hoping to get their new locations and places of interest added to the full game. Fans and players have already produced numerous works of art in the mode, and Grimy Greens was announced as the location to replace Risk Reels and be added to the main game on December 18. • Insane Hand Cannon play shows why FaZe’s Avxry is unstoppable in Fortnite – Dexerto

Insane Hand Cannon play shows why FaZe’s Avxry is unstoppable in Fortnite FaZe Clan content creator Avery ‘Avxry’ Lopriore is one of the better Fortnite players in the community, and an insane play he made in a recent game shows just how good he really is. Engaged in an intense and sweaty gunfight with an enemy player in Paradise Palms, Avxry realized that another player was preparing to swoop in and take advantage of the commotion. The opponent that he was fighting decided to use the distraction and escaped the gunfight using the Glider Re-Deploy, as he flew away from the scene of battle. Avxry was not fazed by the sudden switch (no pun intended), and quickly focused up on the third party player, eventually eliminating him after a tough build battle. Not forgetting about his initial opponent, he then quickly swerved around and used his Legendary Hand Cannon to nail a single deadly shot at the escaping player, who was already 58 meters away. Don’t put a Deagle in my hands. Accuracy :100: pic.twitter.com/HPVraNv8RR — FaZe Avery (@Avxry) November 14, 2018 The entire sequence, and how Avxry managed to play it out, was actually quite impressive, considering how many factors were working against him. Not only was he able to handle the third party player with relative ease, but he was also able to be quick enough to not let the initial player get away and had the strong sense to quickly turn around and relocate his target. However, he still had to be accurate enough to hit the shot with his Hand Cannon, otherwise, the player will likely have gotten behind a structure, healed up, and either escaped or re-engaged. To be a top-tier Fortnite player, one must have strong ability in several facets of the game, not just one. Avxry demonstrated his strength in building, accuracy, focus, and positioning as he wiped out both players without taking any damage himself.

  • This is what a Fortnite and Game of Thrones crossover would look like – Dexerto

This is what a Fortnite and Game of Thrones crossover would look like There has been speculation about the possibility of a Game of Thrones and Fortnite crossover, following some peculiar clues, so a creative fan has imaged exactly what it would look like. Fortnite previously collaborated with Marvel and the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ movie, by adding an ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ LTM. where players could play as the movie’s villain, Thanos. With Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season will be releasing in 2019, and the possibility of the world’s most popular game teaming up with the most anticipated TV series is very realistic. Adding to the speculation are a number of clues within Fortnite itself – we have done a full breakdown of everything which links Fortnite and Game of Thrones – including dragon eggs, a castle, the arrival of ‘winter’ with season 7 and more. So, for Game of Thrones fans that double as Fortnite players, there’s a very real prospect of the two worlds colliding (which also happens to be one of Fortnite’s slogans) – and here’s a peek at what it would look like. Using the new Fortnite Creative mode, Reddit user u/Assasin-of-Eire created ‘The Wall’ and Castle Black from Game of Thrones, with impressive attention to detail. The large courtyard, double door entrance, wooden platforms and elevators, and of course the massive sheet of thick ice, are all here. Even more impressive, the creator claims that they have fully furnished the inside of the buildings, as accurately as possible from the TV series: The interiors are also fully decorated and thought out. I researched certain buildings and their locations and tried to get it as close as possible. you can check out spots from Castle Black like the Lord Commander’s Quarters, the Great Hall, the Top of the Wall, the Gate through the Wall, the Maester’s Library, and the Guest Quarters. If players want to hop into this map right now and get a taste of the Game of Thrones setting in Fortnite, all you need to do is enter this code in Creative mode:

  • This incredibly long heal-off during a scrim shows why Epic had to change the storm damage in Fortnite – Dexerto

This incredibly long heal-off during a scrim shows why Epic had to change the storm damage in Fortnite Heal-offs have been a part of the competitive Fortnite meta since they were discovered, but the lengths pros have taken the strategy has forced Epic to patch the game. In Patch 6.22, Epic changed the final storm damage from eight damage per second (DPS) to ten DPS. That brought the storm damage back to its original setting, which still didn’t prevent heal-offs, but did weaken the strategies ability. NRG Zayt popularized a strategy on Halloween that had one person carry medkits exclusively, and he won a game way before the final circle by using 12 medkits. Now other pros have taken that strategy to a new level. Healing for over two minutes using 17 medkits and even storing bandages in case three full minutes of healing wasn’t enough. With people not even needing to be in the final circle before they begin the heal-off, Epic needed to do something to change the system. Read More: All Fortnite map changes in V6.22 Update – Soccer Field, Durrr Burger, Retail Row and more – Their solution was to return the storm to ten DPS, but that still allows for heal-offs, it just requires the player to also use a cozy campfire in addition to the medkits. While the damage change won’t solve the issue entirely, it will make it nearly impossible for players to pull off absurdly long endgame heal-offs like the one above.

  • This handy map shows all the Fortnite Rift locations in Season 7 – Dexerto

This handy map shows all the Fortnite Rift locations in Season 7 Epic GamesOne of the easiest ways to rotate around Fortnite’s island are Rifts, which can be found in the air, floating above the map. Rifts were added to the battle royale mode back in July 2018, when the rocket launched at the end of Season 4, firing high into the air and leaving a massive crack in the sky above the island. Running into the rift allows players to quickly rotate around the map, as they are thrown high into the sky where they can activate their glider and float down to a new location. There are 13 Rifts on the Fortnite map in Season 7, with 11 normal Rifts and two infinite Rifts, which allow an unlimited amount of players to use them in a match, unlike the normal versions. Players can find the most Rifts in the desert portion of the map found in the south-east corner, while the infinite Rifts can be found on a small island on the south-west corner of the map, and in the bunker underneath Wailing Woods. Reddit user /u/Z444Z has created a useful map that shows the location of every Rift, and highlights the two infinite Rifts to make sure you know where they are. At the beginning of every season, the location of the Rifts change, with some of them disappearing and reappearing in a new spot as Epic Games attempt to keep the game fresh by constantly updating the map. Rifts can be used to rotate to a new location when you’re being chased down by the storm, or have cleared out all the loot from the place where you landed originally. They can also be extremely useful when in a fight against an enemy, as you can use them to gain higher ground against an opponent, or get away and preserve your life.

  • This hilarious zipline glitch in Fortnite sends players into outer space – Dexerto

This hilarious zipline glitch in Fortnite sends players into outer space Season 7 of Fortnite Battle Royale went live yesterday, December 6, adding a plethora of new items, skins and more to the already incredibly diverse game. One of the most interesting changes from the v7.00 update comes in the form of the ziplines that have been added to various locations around the map and provide an interesting new method of transportation. When everything goes to plan, players simply need into one of the ziplines and they will be able to move from one mountain to another. Unfortunately, things don’t always go to plan! One unlucky player fell foul of an insane glitch while playing a squads game after the update went live, and he couldn’t resist sharing it on Reddit for all to see. ‘SRX Astros’ and his teammates were engaged in a rather intense battle, but when he tried to close the distance to his opponents, he was thrown backwards and forwards by some sort of bugges zipline before eventually being catapulted off the map entirely! We’re not entirely sure what it was that caused the glitch, and we haven’t seen it happen to anyone else yet, but we’re almost certain that ziplines aren’t supposed to send players into orbit… Games developers often find themselves having to iron out minor glitches and issues after an update as big as Fortnite’s Season 7 one was, but the more we watch the clip, the more we feel like it should be permanent feature. Okay, so it might be annoying if it happened to you in the grand final of a major tournament, but just imagine how funny it would be for everyone else!

  • This GTA-style feature could be the perfect replacement for Fortnite’s planes – Dexerto

This GTA-style feature could be the perfect replacement for Fortnite’s planes Rockstar / Epic GamesEpic Games’ attack plane experiment in Fortnite Season 7 has had some highs and a whole lot of lows, but by adding one new mode of transport they could be replaced quite easily. With so many complaints being made about the issues caused by X-4 Stormwing vehicles planes after they were first added to the game at the start of Season 7, they have been continually nerfed ever since with new fixes trying to solve problem after problem. But, one fan has proposed an idea that could potentially replace them and Fortnite’s glitchy ziplines in one fell swoop. In a post to the Fortnite BR subreddit, NOJHD has proposed that a train system should be added to Fortnite to allow players to move around the map easily and quickly. Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? Rumors, release date, story and more for the next Grand Theft Auto game – These trains, which have had potential tracks mapped out below, would continually move around the map and would destroy anything in their path – which would be very similar to the rail system featured in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: V and other GTA titles before it. The map shows two stations situated in the snow biome, near popular destinations Happy Hamlet and Titled Towers, with the others near Wailing Woods and the race track in the desert biome. The Reddit user would like to see trains which are easy to jump onto added to Battle Royale, with chests spawning in the caboose and believes this would completely change how players loot on the game. While discussing how the idea would benefit Fortnite players, NOJHD posted: “This would be a whole new thing for looting. Hop on the train, if it’s looted you just ride to the next station”. “Trains are very dangerous and this could teach kids that playing on the railroad tracks is very dangerous. Fun and educational!” another user wrote.

  • This Fortnite weapon can turn you into John Wick in Chapter 5 – Dexerto

This Fortnite weapon can turn you into John Wick in Chapter 5 Epic GamesFortnite players hailed one Chapter 5 weapon as the John Wick gun thanks to its insane ability to dispatch enemies quickly and stealthily. Fortnite Chapter 5 is full of powerful weapons that players have been reinventing to claim the coveted Victory Royale over their opponents. With the new Season 2, the meta has shifted significantly across the board, thanks to weapon mods and new guns. One weapon in the current season however has been found to turn you into John Wick, a deadly assassin to wipe out the entire lobby. The weapon in question here is a modded Epic Ranger Pistol with a Holo-13 optic. One player shared their John Wick-esque gameplay on social media, rapidly gunning down multiple opponents with the modded pistol as they channeled their inner black-suited assassin. Other players within the Fortnite community agreed that the pistol was “too overpowered” and guaranteed “free kills” when equipped. “My friends and I started calling all modded-out pistols we found ‘John wick pistols’ at the start of the season, seemed fitting,” said one player. “The pistol has been my favorite weapon this season. It just feels good,” said another, praising the strength of the Ranger Pistol combined with the Holo-13 sight. Ranger Pistol has been one of the preferred weapon choices for Fortnite players in Chapter 5 due to its rapid firepower combined with lesser recoil. Furthermore, when it comes to channeling a John Wick persona in Battle Royale, two outfits of the character namely Reaper and John Wick have been released before in Fortnite. While the Keanu Reeves-inspired outfit is recurring in the Item Shop, The Reaper is one of the rarest Fortnite skins in the game.

  • This “fun” cosmetic item in Fortnite should return to spice things up – Dexerto

This “fun” cosmetic item in Fortnite should return to spice things up Epic GamesThis particular cosmetic item lets Fortnite players interact and play with it, but they have yet to return to the game. We want to see that changed sooner than later. Fortnite may have tons of skin collabs, new game modes, and other fun additions brought to the game throughout its nearly seven-year run. But so far, none of these things have come close to toys. Toys are a type of cosmetic item that, as the name suggests, lets you interact and play with them. They range from a basketball, water balloon, or burger to a tomato, which you can throw to another player in the lobby. Sadly, if you’re not an OG, then you’ve missed out on them because, after season X, Fortnite stopped putting this cosmetic item into the Battle Pass, Item Shop, and even as challenge rewards. To this day, no cosmetic has been able to replace or replicate the sheer fun of toys. Sure, the new Battle Pass gives you an instrument to use in Fortnite Festival, but toys were a unique addition back in the day that let you pull off silly things with your friends in Battle Royale and we want to see them back. This topic was brought up in an X post recently, and some players, regardless of whether or not they were an OG, argued that they should return as they’re a “fun” addition. Out of all these comments, one user shared an interesting idea regarding adding “itemized versions” of the toys to Creative mode. “We already had some in the past like the water balloon, snowball, tomato, burger, and basketball and they would be cool to have in creative. They’d especially be useful as play items in LEGO islands now.” Fortnite has always been all about customization, especially since Fortnite Creative was introduced. And now with LEGO Fortnite introducing players to tools and templates to create their own island, this could be a great addition to spice things up. Imagine having a game mode similar to the High Explosive LTM, but instead of only using explosives, you’d only be able to use toys and score an elimination when they land on someone. This could be both in regular Creative modes or in LEGO. Additionally, toys could make an appearance in the Item Shop to keep things interesting. After all, Fortnite players complaining about the shop isn’t something new at this point. Having this cosmetic added in the shop would make some players, especially those who missed out, look forward more to the shop’s rotation. They could even be a seasonal addition in the shop. The beach ball, water balloon and bottle, for example, would be so fun to have around when it’s summer.

  • This Fortnite Thunderbolt of Zeus trick turns you into a “literal God” – Dexerto

This Fortnite Thunderbolt of Zeus trick turns you into a “literal God” FortniteThanks to this trick, players won’t have to be a “sitting duck” when using the Thunderbolt of Zeus in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2. Fortnite players are quick to adjust to the latest season’s loot pool. Within a few days of Chapter 5, Season 2’s launch, some players have already found different strategies to get the upper hand and secure a Victory Royale. One of those strategies involves trapping enemies in a weapon bunker using a car and then obliterating them with the Thunderbolt of Zeus, which looks pretty ruthless in action. And as it turns out, this newly added Mythic weapon can be even more useful and powerful when used with the right item. As you can see, Thunderbolt of Zeus’ key weakness is locking you in a certain animation for a few seconds when using it. This makes it challenging to use out in the open when potential snipers are around, as they can just tap you in the head. However, combining with Cerberus’ medallion allows you to dash into the sky as you zap enemies on the ground. This strategy was showcased in a TikTok clip where a player managed to outplay the enemy by dodging their shots in the sky and hurling lightning bolts at them. They explained, “You aren’t just a sitting duck when you use the Zeus bolts; if you have Cerberus’ medallion, you are a literal God in the sky.” When discussing the viability of Thunderbolt of Zeus in a Reddit thread, some players argued that this strategy is the sole reason that it’s “busted.” “That thing is busted with it. I had someone keep dodging all of my shots after they started using it. I may hit them for a 100 too,” one person wrote. For the uninitiated, the Cerberus medallion in Fortnite gives you the Underworld river buff, regardless of where you are on the map. You get three charges that recharge after a few seconds, allowing you to zip around the map quickly — similar to how Tracer’s blink works in Overwatch. The ‘blinks’ also work when you’re holding the Thunderbolt of Zeus in the sky. The only tradeoff for this strategy is that you’ll be exposing your location to other players since you’re holding a medallion, though it generally shouldn’t matter as long as you can hit your shots.

  • This Fortnite skin concept would put a hilarious spin on the Giddy-Up outfit – Dexerto

This Fortnite skin concept would put a hilarious spin on the Giddy-Up outfit One thing that holds true in virtually every video gaming community is that fans love concept art for their favorite skins, characters and weapons, but Fortnite lends itself to that trend better than most. As a game that already celebrates everything colorful, cartoon-like, far-fetched and downright wacky, Fortnite provides the perfect building blocks for its massive playerbase to let their imaginations run wild as they design concepts, outfits and more. Even better, many of the skins that Epic Games design are already so crazy that it’s easy to reimagine them in brilliant, and often hilarious, ways, just like ‘Twistrace’ did with his hilarious take on the Giddy-Up skin. The Redditor took to the FortniteBR subreddit with a post titled ‘Fortnite needs this’ and an image of the already humorous skin with one key difference: the llama and human have switched roles! Another Reddit user, ‘King-Boss-Bob’, summarized our feelings about the bizarre design perfectly, saying: “I’m not sure if I want to get this image out of my brain or to keep looking at it. I’m still deciding.” For the unaware, the Giddy-Up skin was added to Fortnite Battle Royale at the start of Season 6 and features one of the default character skins wearing a llama around his waist to give the impression that he is riding it. We’ve included an image of it at the bottom of this article. However, it’s significantly more uncomfortable, and funny, to look at the same concept with the roles reversed. Whatever you make of it, there’s no denying the fact that Fortnite players would be clamouring to add the hilarious skin to their inventory if Epic Games ever decided to add it to the game.

  • This Fortnite map shows how few Season 1 locations remain unchanged – Dexerto

This Fortnite map shows how few Season 1 locations remain unchanged After the launch of Fortnite’s Season 7 update, one player decided to take a trip down memory lane and see how much of the map has changed over the game’s lifespan. Every new season of Fortnite has introduced new point of interest locations and biomes to the map in order to keep things new and fresh. You don’t really get a good feel of just how much of the map has changed until you take a closer look at a visual representation of every change over the last seven seasons. Reddit user ‘eamonn25’ put together a heat map of sorts to show all the areas that have been affected by the many changes of Fortnite. Surprisingly, there is only four point of interest locations that have survived the constant evolution of Fortnite’s map. Pleasant Park remains the lone standing location in the northwestern portion of the map, while Salty Springs, Fatal Fields, and Retail Row are still holding strong on the southern half of the map. The rest of the map, however, has been drastically changed with the entire southwestern section having been completely changed with the Season 7 update. The southeast didn’t fare much better as the desert biome took over things at the start of Season 5. With the majority of the major locations seeing much change over the last year, it’ll be very interesting to see how long it takes until the entire map is completely different. While everyone waits to discover the fate of the remaining OG locations, Season 7 has brought loads of gameplay changes that will surely keep fans busy until the next major update.

  • This Fortnite heat map concept would help players choose where they want to drop – Dexerto

This Fortnite heat map concept would help players choose where they want to drop There’s always that one squad member who wants to drop at Tilted Towers, even though your team dies straight away every time you go there. However, with this Fortnite concept you would be able to show them why it’s a bad idea. The idea is simple. There would be a map introduced and available to all players which would show your recent form and relate that to a certain color band, depending on your performances when dropping there. For example, if you had landed at Dusty Divot a lot in your last 100 games and were really successful there, it would be lit up in red on your heat map. However, if you had landed at Loot Lake a lot also in your previous 100 games and got a very high amount of deaths there, it would show up in yellow or with no color. This would give players an indicator of where they usually do quite well to assist their decision of where to drop, giving them the best possible chance of starting the game with a bang. Check out the concept idea below, which was posted by u/creatorsellor on Reddit’s very own r/FortNiteBR Subreddit. This feature idea has gone down well in the Fortnite community with 91% of /r/FortniteBR users liking it, and many players making it clear that they would like to see something like this added to the game in the near future. But where did the idea come from? Well, creatorsellor has an interesting story about that. “I got this idea sparked because my car tells me my average gas mileage according to the last 25, 50 or 450 miles actually”. Unfortunately, there are currently no official plans for the heat map to be added to the popular battle royale title by Epic Games, but the developers have added good ideas like this one to the game in the past.

  • This Fortnite concept would prevent late-game camping with X-4 Stormwings – Dexerto

This Fortnite concept would prevent late-game camping with X-4 Stormwings Epic GamesEpic Games have made tons of waves with their inclusion of the X-4 Stormwing in Fortnite, but one idea might relieve tons of pressure from the sky in the late stages of the game. The X-4 Stormwing has received tons of backlash from the community since its release on December 6, and in it’s two weeks of life has already been updated twice for multiple reasons, but a solution to one of its biggest gripes might not be in an update to the vehicle itself. In a Reddit post, user barffyy suggests to add a weather condition applicable to planes as the storm closes into its final destination. The change would make flying a plane increasingly dangerous as a match carries on. Barffyy suggests that the weather exhibit turbulence as the storm rages, but the high winds would also be an indicator for the pilot that lightning is soon to strike the aircraft. Although the damage to the craft wasn’t specified, the idea could go really far to dwindling the amount of planes that simply coast to the final circles. Note, the user’s idea would damage the plane even if flying within the zone, which might seem unbalanced but so is seeing Jonesy cruise to the final circle with only a Pump Shotgun and no mats. The change seems harsh, but with the right damage from lightning strikes the idea could be smoothly integrated into live servers.

  • This Fortnite emote wheel concept would be a massive improvement – Dexerto

This Fortnite emote wheel concept would be a massive improvement Everyone loves a good Fortnite Battle Royale concept and one Reddit user’s idea for upgrading the emote wheel falls firmly in that category. Fortnite concepts and suggestions range from skins and cosmetics to menu and quality of life improvements, with most of the best ones find their way to the front page of the FortniteBR subreddit eventually. It’ll come as no surprise, then, to hear that the incredible emote wheel concept from ‘zangemaru’ also made its way there. The suggestion shows a significantly larger emote wheel, making it perfect for the ever-growing emote inventories of the Fortnite community. The number of slots in each ring of the new wheel are dictated by the rarity of the emotes being used (uncommon, rare etc.). The significantly more complicated emote wheel would still be simple to use on paper, with zangemaru saying that users would need to hold their emote key, hover their cursor over the emote they want to use, and then release their emote key in order to select it. While this might be more difficult to do on console, other users have suggested that holding the right analog stick in and then moving to the emote of choice would work just as well. There would also be an option to bind your favorite emotes to specific keys to cut down on selection time if needed – a welcome inclusion for players that enjoy showboating! The current emote wheel is rather limiting for players that own more than a handful of different dances and gestures, so this concept would be an amazing upgrade. The Fortnite developers are active on Reddit so there’s always a chance that they’ll take inspiration from a concept like zangemaru’s!

  • This Fortnite concept would make it easier for console players to edit builds – Dexerto

This Fortnite concept would make it easier for console players to edit builds A change to the editing system used in Fortnite Battle Royale would make it much easier for console players to quickly edit structures. The current editing systems sees players select the editing tool when looking at a structure they have built, selecting the shape they want to change it to using the in-game tool, and then confirming their selected edit by pressing the edit button again. Reddit user ‘tamez_a’ believes that players should be able to opt out of the final step, with the edit taking place the moment players have made their selection, rather than having to press another button to finally complete the process. If the edit tool use a ‘drag and release’ system, players could quickly draw out the edit they wished to make, with the structure making the change the moment they let go of the edit button. This would be ideal for console players, who may need to take their thumb off of the thumbstick to select the edit button to confirm their changes. The new system would be optional, so players who use the default controller layout could choose to continue with the current system if that was their preferred method. The system would also be introduced on PC, but with the speed at which players can edit on keyboard and mouse, it’s unlikely that it would made a significant difference to those who play on a computer. While this seems like a great idea that would help Fortnite players on console, this concept for editing is created by a fan, and there are currently no official plans for Epic Games to make any changes to the editing tool in the game.

  • This Fortnite concept skin celebrates Kevin the Cube’s final moments perfectly – Dexerto

This Fortnite concept skin celebrates Kevin the Cube’s final moments perfectly A special concept skin designed by a talented Fortnite fan would allow players of the popular battle royale game to celebrate the life and untimely demise of Kevin the Cube. Affectionately named by members of the Fortnite community, Kevin has been part of the landscape of the game since August 2018, appearing suddenly, and then meandering it’s way around the map until it came to its final resting place at Leaky Leak. Yesterday, fans had an opportunity to say their goodbyes to Kevin, as it left the game for good during the in-game event that took place to mark the end of the title’s Halloween themed mode, Fortnitemares. At 1pm ET on Sunday, November 4, Kevin the Cube began to spin, gaining speed and momentum until it eventually cracked open, transporting players to a strange white dimension that’s never been seen before in the game. In this incredible new area, fans saw a butterfly flying around, with the players character eventually touching the butterfly, which sent them out of this strange realm and back into the normal Fortnite map. The concept skin created by Reddit user ‘Noblebatterfly’ is titled ‘Incarnation of Kevin’, and pays homage to the history of Kevin. Her legs are covered in the runes that the cube left behind while it travelled around the map, while her chest has a piece of the cube protruding out. The skin is purple, to match Kevin the Cube’s own colour, and has beautiful wings on her back, a nod to the butterfly which appeared in the moments after Kevin’s explosion. The aftermath of the end of Fortnitemares has seen the islands which had been floating around Kevin plummet back into Leaky Leak, while fans remain unsure as to what the butterfly actually means. Unfortunately, fans of Kevin the Cube will have to find their own way to mourn the loss of their falled friend, as this skin is just a concept, and there is no official announcement from Epic Games that it will be making an appearance in Fortnite.

  • This Fortnite concept skin is perfect for players who miss Kevin the Cube – Dexerto

This Fortnite concept skin is perfect for players who miss Kevin the Cube A creative Fortnite fan has designed a new concept skin that would allow players to show their devotion to Kevin the Cube after his untimely demise during the Fortnitemares in-game event. Designed by Reddit user ‘QuirkyKlyborg’, the skin titled ‘Cube Disciple’ would allow players to show their devotion to the cube, celebrating his life and ultimate death by wearing a skin dedicated to the large purple object. Fortnite fans were forced to say farewell to Kevin on Sunday, November 4 when the cube began to spin at Leaky Lake, eventually rotating so quickly that it broke apart, causing players to teleport into a strange white dimension momentarily. By the time players were thrown back into the Fortnite map, Kevin was gone, with the islands that the cube had been causing to float in the air crashing back down into Leaky Lake. The concept skin features a hooded figure, with the mysterious runes left behind by the cube when it roamed around the map covering the cloak. The skin is half purple, which QuirkyKlyborg states is because the character has “become one with the cube.” The Cube Disciple also carries its own custom pickaxe, a tangled branch from a tree which the designer says is “morphing” into a substance similar to the cube. Artistic Fortnite fans have been hard at work attempting to create concept skins and items that honor Kevin the Cube, who was a fixture on the Fortnite map since he first appeared back in August. Unfortunately for fans of Kevin, this skin is nothing more than a concept drawn up by a mourning Fortnite fan, and there are currently no official plans to make the Cube Disciple available for purchase.

  • This Fornite vehicle concept would change material farming forever – Dexerto

This Fornite vehicle concept would change material farming forever One of the best things about the Fortnite community is the creativity and innovation of the fanbase who continuously pump out concepts, cool pieces of artwork and wacky suggestions. This opens up the possibility for some interesting new ideas that may have never been considered by the game’s developers, Epic Games, actually making it into the game. Well, one fan’s simple idea involving tractors is something that thousands of Redditors have already upvoted. ‘ADNAP727’ took to the FortniteBR subreddit to say: “SUGGESTION: make the tractors a rideable vehicle where if you run into objects it’ll give you the materials for whatever you broke,” and we think that makes for a great concept! Of course, with Quadcrashers already having the ability to destroy structures when they hit them at speed, the tractors would have to behave somewhat differently, perhaps only farming materials from player-built structures at a gradual rate and taking a long time to fully destroy them. Of course, it’s unlikely that Epic Games will ever implement this concept but we’ll keep on dreaming just in case! Let us know what you think of ADNAP727’s idea.

  • This fan concept to celebrate Autumn in Fortnite is perfect – Dexerto

This fan concept to celebrate Autumn in Fortnite is perfect Fortnite fans are always coming up with creative ways to change the map for each season during the year, but this concept for Fall is one of the coolest yet. Epic Games are no strangers to changing how the map looks to match certain seasons or holidays, often adding in flair on a regular basis. Whether it’s putting up ghost decorations for Halloween or putting out Christmas trees for winter, there’s almost always something new to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Despite these frequent changes, though, there isn’t much to celebrate the Autumn season and that’s something that Reddit user ‘TooBusyLucidLiving’ would like to see changed. This concept, dubbed ‘FALLNITE,’ is everything that fans of the Fall season could have asked for and one of the most interesting we’ve seen in some time. They admit that there is also a need for snow to cover the entire map during the winter rather than just scattered Christmas trees but ultimately would love to see the brightly colored leaves fall of Fortnite’s map. Some players in the comments of the Reddit post were quick to express their desire for the leave piles to function much like the bushes that are currently in the game, something that TooBusyLucidLiving agreed with. Pro Fortnite player discusses ways to improve Glider Re-deploy systemIf nothing else, this is yet another awesome concept from the Fortnite community that is always coming up with ways to add things into the game.

  • This fan-made Tender Defender skin is coming to Fortnite – Dexerto

This fan-made Tender Defender skin is coming to Fortnite Epic GamesA Fortnite skin created by an 8-year-old fan is becoming a reality as in-game teasers and leaks seem to confirm that the Tender Defender skin is indeed coming to the game. On September 12, Redditor and /u/tfoust10 posted a photo of his son Connor’s request to Epic Games to add in a Chicken Trooper skin to the game, with the post quickly gaining traction and amassing over 40,000 upvotes. Since then fans have begged Epic games to make the skin a reality, with some even going so far as to design their own concepts on what the skin, and its accessories could look like. FaZe artist releases sweet new look at Fortnite’s Whiteout skins Fornite’s v6.30 is bringing along with it a ton of new cosmetics that have yet to be released, among those is a skin with the filename “Tender_Defender”. 600 A chicken glider and a whisk pickaxe were also discovered in the leak, and they look almost exactly like Connor’s original concepts. Read More: Fortnite: TSM Dakotaz on how Epic Games should make the Glider Redeploy work if it returns – Finally, the Redditor who made the concept used as reference when creating the skin has confirmed that Epic Games reached out for permission to use his creation. 600Connor’s father, who made the original post, thanked everyone involved for helping to make his son’s dream into reality: “I am super happy for Connor. His concept is really becoming reality it seems. Thanks for all the artists who took his original drawing and built there chicken troopers off of his concept. There is no bigger compliment. Thanks to the redditors of this forum who stood behind a young boys idea and uplifted him.”

  • This corrupt version of Fortnite’s Rex skin would be perfect for Halloween – Dexerto

This corrupt version of Fortnite’s Rex skin would be perfect for Halloween One of Fortnite Battle Royale’s most popular skins, Rex, has received a makeover in fan-made concept that would be perfect for Halloween and Season 6 of Epic Games title. The mysterious Fortnite cube, affectionately known as ‘Kevin’ within the community, melted into Loot Lake at the end of Season 5 before rising again at the start of Season 6 and creating a floating island. The cube has also corrupted large areas of the map, with ‘Shadow Stones’ spawning around the map and large patches of purple ground appearing where the cube previously left runes. This theme of corruption appears to be what inspired the incredible ‘Reaper Rex’ skin concept by nollobandz, which can be viewed below: With Halloween looming, and Epic Games already releasing a number of cool Halloween-themed skins and items, this corrupted, or dark, version of the classic Rex skin would fit right in and be a huge hit with fans of the game. In fact, the concept has already received great plaudits on Reddit, with one user, ‘Recade15’, saying: “I’m pretty sure I’d buy that straight away if it came out, very well made buddy.” Another Redditor, Lucario_00, said: “Rex is my favorite skin ever and if they would come up with something like this I would cry tears of joy.” Of course, this is merely a piece of concept art, but Epic Games have been known to take inspiration from the community in the past. Here’s hoping that this is one of those times!

  • This awesome LTM concept would bring Gun Game with a twist to Fortnite – Dexerto

This awesome LTM concept would bring Gun Game with a twist to Fortnite An interesting new concept for Fortnite Battle Royale would see the classic Gun Game mode come to the Epic Games title, but with a few twists. Many players have tried to come up with a way to make Gun Game work in a battle royale environment but the core features of the two modes make it a difficult compromise. However, Reddit user ‘-Praxis_’ has come up with an interesting new LTM (Limited Time Mode) suggestion called ‘All The Same’ which would put an interesting spin on Gun Game that could actually work. Instead of players progressing through weapons with each kill, Praxis’ concept would see guns change every 45 seconds in a Solos match. No weapons would be available in loot, but a handful of items like Shield potions and the Grappler would be. Praxis also suggested that there could be an initial cooldown period that would give players the chance to farm materials and find some items before the first weapon became available. Gun Game is a popular party mode that has featured in some of the most popular shooters of all time, including various Call of Duty titles, and typically sees players compete to be the first to get a kill with each weapon. Players might start with a commonly used assault rifle but will soon find themselves having to find a frag with a launcher or pistol that rarely gets any attention in the core game. With the lack of respawn in battle royale, it is entirely possible that players would simply hide and wait until the final moments once they progressed onto a weapon that they feel comfortable on. The rotation of weapons on a timer, however, would tackle some of these issues and could even result in some hilarious engagements where players find their shotguns switched out for crossbow mid-fight.

  • This new concept would drastically change the map in Fortnite – Dexerto

This new concept would drastically change the map in Fortnite Despite the fact that major changes have been made to the map of Fortnite Battle Royale since the game’s release last year, many players have been clamoring for a brand new map all-together. Reddit user ‘CurdledART‘ has created a concept for Fortnite that would fundamentally change how the map looks. While the concept retains many of the locations that are currently on the map, it’s so dramatically different than the current layout that it could be considered a brand new map. In addition to keeping many locations, it also proposes for the return of some fan-favorite points of interest, such as Anarchy Acres, Moisty Mire, the old school Factories, and Prison. The biggest change that this concept introduces is splitting the map into 13 individual islands, some of which will have terrains and seasons that differ from the others. In addition, the image also shows that a gigantic volcano would be added at the center, its size dwarfing all of the other major locations on the map. Some have predicted that there will be snowy areas added to the map for the winter season, a theory that was hinted at as a possibility by community manager ‘MrPopoTFS’ in a reply on Reddit. “We have definitely head the feedback through the seasonal map changes like that would be great!” he wrote.

  • This awesome Fortnite concept could be the cure for third-party fighting – Dexerto

This awesome Fortnite concept could be the cure for third-party fighting Third-party fighting has become quite a hot topic in the Fortnite community, with many frustrated at the prevalence of the practice. There’s nothing worse than winning a fight in Fortnite only for someone else to come up and kill you after you’ve been weakened by the first fight. With that in mind, Reddit user ‘coreythedesigner’ came up with an idea for a new game mechanic that could completely change the dynamic of fights in Fortnite. Specifically aimed at third-party fighting, this concept would make it so that any builds made by the opponent you just eliminated would transfer over to you and your squad. This is key since it would allow players to quickly edit existing builds instantly, eliminating the need to destroy them in order to build cover of your own. Instead of being caught in the rough position of winning a fight and being immediately converged upon by an enemy team, players would have plenty of options to defend themselves with this inventive concept. The idea looks to be a hit on Reddit, with many players agreeing that it’s a great idea that they’d love to see included in the game. The post currently sits on the front page of the official Fortnite Reddit with over 1,200 upvotes. It seems like the transferring of builds is one of the most talked about issues in Fortnite, as another user also introduced an idea of a trap that would allow players to take over enemy builds. Epic Games has been known to adopt player concepts into Fortnite, so there’s a good possibility that these could eventually make their way into the game.

  • Third Fortnitemares teaser image released for Fortnite Halloween event as mysterious poem continues – Dexerto

Third Fortnitemares teaser image released for Fortnite Halloween event as mysterious poem continues Epic Games have released yet another mysterious teaser for the upcoming ‘Fortnitemares’ Halloween event that will take place in both the Save the World and Battle Royale versions of Fortnite. This is the third teaser image to have been released in as many days – the first, released on October 20, seemed to show an unreleased skin wearing what looks like Calamity’s hat, while the second shows a purple rune block trapped in chains. Both came with snippets of a poem that seem to link together, and some fans of the game even believe that the images are pieces of a puzzle that will eventually make one large image. Now the third image, released on October 22, has also been released along with the caption: “Take the shot, If you have enough to last. The wind calls out, ‘Fill your chambers, fast’.” Take the shot, If you have enough to last. The wind calls out, “Fill your chambers, fast.” #Fortnitemares pic.twitter.com/y6jkzM0vnR— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 22, 2018 The image is quite clearly some sort of revolver pistol being held by a purple hand; it seems only natural that it is being held by the mysterious character that can be seen in the first image. We’re not entirely how how, or if, it fits in with the puzzle that so many players are convinced is being created, but we’ll update you when we know more. If one assumes that the three poem stanzas are linked and chronological, the entire thing so far reads: Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. They could be friendly, Or a ghoul in disguise. Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. Take the shot, If you have enough to last. The wind calls out, “Fill your chambers, fast”

  • This amazing fan-made Fortnite Christmas skin will get you in the festive spirit – Dexerto

This amazing fan-made Fortnite Christmas skin will get you in the festive spirit A creative Fortnite fan has designed a concept skin that will help players of the popular battle royale title get into the holiday spirit. Designed by Reddit user ‘Recade15’, the skin is an updated version of the Summit Striker character that was recently released for the game, with new items and colors added to give the skin a more festive feel. Recade15’s Pine Patroller skin has been designed with a new backbling and a special winter-themed harvesting tool. It’s only a concept, but players would truly be decked out in Christmas garb if they jumped out of the Battle Bus dressed in this. The Pine Patroller also features a hooded winter coat, split in half with one side colored green and the other red, along with knee pads and boots in the matching Christmas shades. Wrapped around his neck is a scarf to help keep him warm, while red and white candy canes hang from a strap across his chest. The ‘Christmas Conifer’ backbling is a Christmas tree complete with fairy lights and a star on top, while the ‘Blizzard Breaker’ harvesting tool is a snow shovel, perfect for digging your way out of sticky situations. Some sort of snow shovel could well be a handy item to have in the coming weeks in Fortnite, as many fans believe that Epic Games are dropping hints that a cold snap may be on its way to the battle royale title. A mysterious storm cloud has been spotted hovering over the ocean, just on the horizon of the Fortnite map, with fans believing that the cloud will begin to make its way towards the island and bring a massive snowstorm with it. The Pine Patroller is unfortunately nothing more than a concept dreamed up by an avid Fortnite player, but fans of the game may not have to wait too long to find out what jolly Christmas treats Epic Games have in store for the holiday season.

  • Third Fortnite Season 10 teaser reveals new skins and hints at time travel – Dexerto

Third Fortnite Season 10 teaser reveals new skins and hints at time travel Graphics: Epic GamesEpic Games have revealed their third teaser for Fortnite Season 10 and it’s fair to say that there could be a big twist coming up soon for players. The game developers had previously posted two other images with hints about what’s to come in the next season, with fans expecting some big changes to the map. Teasers have already hinted at the return of Dusty Depot, one of the game’s original points of interest that’s since been renamed and repackaged as Dusty Divot in-game, but also gave fans some food for thought where The Visitor character is concerned too. So, let’s take a look at the brand new image. Seasoned veterans of Fortnite will know that there are usually four teasers on the way, all dropping hints for the new season, and Epic Games posted their third image on July 30 to their official Twitter account. As seen below, the new teaser is very different to its predecessors. In fact, we’d be tempted to say that fans have just been given a sneak peek at some brand new skins that could soon hit the Fortnite Item Shop. Check it out. The tweet that came along with the teaser also hinted at a potential change in the game, as it stated: “Twist Time.” This could be the biggest hint yet that time travel could be coming soon. It’s still unknown as to what Epic Games have in store for Fortnite Battle Royale players as we approach its landmark 10th season, but people have started to develop their own theories in the absence of confirmed information. Many fans have speculated that we could see a return to the battle royale game’s original map – which featured areas such as Tomato Town, Dusty Depot, Moisty Mire, among many other popular landing spots from the past. We’ll have to wait and see what they rustle up for fans once the new season launches on Thursday, August 1.

  • These Loot Llama weapon wrap concepts celebrate everything that makes Fortnite great – Dexerto

These Loot Llama weapon wrap concepts celebrate everything that makes Fortnite great Epic GamesEver since Epic Games introduced weapon Wraps in Fortnite Season 7, it’s got fans’ creative juices flowing with a slew of concept designs. But, a Loot Llama idea might just be one of the best. Epic has already shown their willingness to take fan creations and tweak them, with the introduction of skins such as the Tender Defender and the newly-leaked Icicle pick-axe. With the addition of Wraps to weapons and vehicles, fans and designers are taking their ideas to the next level and showing off just what could be possible in-game. However, some ideas and concepts stand alone. A Fortnite fan – Reddit user madsbrads25515 – has showcased their own idea with a possible Loot Llama inspired set of Wraps. The concept shows off what the multi-coloured Loot Llama Wraps would look like on the Scar assault rifle, Bolt-action sniper rifle, Desert Eagle pistol and Tactical Shotgun weapons. It’s unknown whether or not Epic already had a similar idea for the Wraps – based on the vibrant Loot Llama colours – but this concept shows just how much of a solid addition it could be. Another fan, Reddit user nhojcs, posted their idea of taking weapon skins from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and showing how they would look in the hugely popular battle royale game – despite how unlikely that crossover may be. The first update for Fortnite Season 7 looks to be on the horizon, after Design Lead Eric Williamson revealed that a health bar indicator for vehicles had just missed the cut for the newest update. It remains to be seen if Epic will add a new Wrap or two in this update but with plenty of changes expected this season, they can’t be too far away.

  • Third Fortnite instadeath location has been discovered – Dexerto

Third Fortnite instadeath location has been discovered Epic GamesStarting with Fortnite Season 8 there have been two instadeath locations discovered and now there are reports of a third one being discovered. Fortnite has always had its share of bugs and issues but nothing has been quite as severe as Season 8 has been so far. Two instadeath locations have been discovered in the game where players would step on them and instantly be eliminated, no matter what their original health was at. Now there are reports of a third instadeath location coming in and it’s in another pretty random location. This new spot is located near the new volcano point of interest and it doesn’t really have any noteworthy landmark near it that indicate your impending doom is incoming. In a video posted to Reddit by user charis38, we see the location of the new spot which is located a little ways away from a small structure near the lava river from the volcano. The player sees a pile of loot near the spot so goes over to it in the Baller vehicle, which actually keeps him safe. Hopping out of the Baller is what leads to the player’s demise and adds even more loot to the pile. It looks like this player wasn’t the first one to discover this location on that map. Epic Games originally made a comment saying the team is looking into the initial instadeath location but hasn’t addressed the second and now the third one. It’s possible this could be patched out in a future update so stay tuned. In the meantime, it’s best to avoid this area of the map.

  • These leaked Fortnite skins still haven’t been added to the game – Dexerto

These leaked Fortnite skins still haven’t been added to the game As usual, almost every update for Fortnite introduces a new collection of skins for players to express themselves in the game – and, thanks to data miners, players can get an early look at some skins before they’ve even been officially released. Due to the efforts of a few of these data-miners, a collection of unreleased skins, gliders, pickaxes, and emotes from Fortnite’s v6.30 update were teased before ever being made available. While a number of these skins have since gone live, fans can still count on the upcoming release for a remaining handful of cosmetics, including the stoic Guan Yu skin, the tactical Reflex skin, the Guandao pickaxe, and more. You can take a look at exactly which skins have yet to be released below: Guan Yu (Epic) Loyalty and bravery at all times Sharpened for battle patch notes in our article, and even test your knowledge on Fortnite’s map locations in our Ultimate Fortnite Quiz.

  • These Fortnite skin concepts are so good Epic Games are actually adding them – Dexerto

These Fortnite skin concepts are so good Epic Games are actually adding them Epic GamesEpic Games are bringing two fan-made skins into Fortnite with the winners of the Concept Royale lending their creative talents for new cosmetics. The Fortnite library of skins includes everything from Epic’s original designs to iconic characters from multiple franchises like Marvel, DC, and more. But the collection will also include a couple more skins directly sourced from fans who submitted their concepts. These skins were so good, Epic decided they had a place inside of the battle royale for people to rock in the upcoming winter season (when the festive cosmetics are set to launch). Take a look down below for full mock-up images that won the Fortnite Concept Royale and will be in the game soon. Epic announced on Aug 19 that artists known as ‘lbdart’ and ‘AltaCalls’ will be honored for their skins for ‘Nalia’ and the ‘Frigid Forgoer,’ respectively. The first is a skin from Ibdart for their ‘fierce guardian of the frozen forests, [who] guards [from] invaders that try to damage the lands of an ancient loved one.” As such, the imagery incorporates an owl-ly hero ready for the winter. Snowflakes adorn the outfit, with a winter owl inspiring the backbling. It looks like the character will also have a stylish cape that can be equipped, so it’ll be interesting how Epic translates that in the game. Meanwhile, AltaCalls’ Frigid Forgoer is “thawed and ready for revenge.” The undead gunslinger is the perfect complement to what we already see in the BR. There weren’t as many accessory details for this concept, but that just gives us the hope that Epic will get creative with the cosmetic to hopefully turn it into a progressive outfit. The design concepts are our best look into the upcoming skins — which should start releasing around December, but no official launch has yet to be announced.

  • These Fortnite trap concepts are exactly what Ninja is looking for – Dexerto

These Fortnite trap concepts are exactly what Ninja is looking for Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has been talking about his desire to see new traps introduced to Fortnite and some of these concepts might be exactly what he’s looking for. Four new exciting trap concept designs have been posted to the Fortnite subreddit and they all offer an innovative twist to those which are already offered in the battle royale game. Many Reddit users have been reacting to the post, with some proving to be more popular than others. They include a Decoy Chest, Flame Grill Trap, Goop Trap and an Electro Trap. The creator of these concepts, Maxwell755, also provided a brief description with each of them in his post, giving us an idea as to how each of them would work in the game. Firstly, the Decoy Trap – as you would expect from the name – would appear to be a normal chest for those who don’t know it’s a decoy, however, when opened they explode and give tricked players 70 damage. The second, a Flame Grill Trap, would burn all enemies who step on top of it and cause one damage for every second stepped on it for a limited time. The other two traps, which are called the Goop Trap and Electro Trap, work on the same basis as the traps already included in the game. They require a player to step on top of them, much like a Spike Trap, with the first making the victim easier to be found, by covering players in bright slime and causing them to have loud squishy footsteps. “The goop trap actually sounds like a really good idea! Doesn’t really seem OP to me and it would be a neat addition to Fortnite” one user commented. The Electro Trap, though, would slowly drain away your shield by zapping them with electricity for a period of time. It wouldn’t impact normal health. “None are good in my opinion” another user said. “Only noobs will fall for a decoy chest. It would have to be in a chest spawn location or it will look out of place, and if it’s a different tint it’s going to be really obvious. Can’t see people going out of their way to setup a decoy chest for a potential 70 damage.”

  • Five Effective Tips to Help You Win More Shotgun Fights in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Five Effective Tips to Help You Win More Shotgun Fights in Fortnite Battle Royale MonsterDface, a popular Fortnite Battle Royale content creator, has shared five top tips for winning Shotgun battles on the massively popular Epic Games title. When it comes to Fortnite Battle Royale, not all of us are born equally. Luckily, there are countless tutorials, guides, and tips out there which should make it possible for even the most average player to get their first victory royale. One YouTuber who has made a name for himself with his informative videos and various tips and tricks series is MonsterDface. On May 20th he released yet another video where he shared five important tips to help less experienced players be more successful when using Fortnite’s various shotguns. Shotgun battles can be extremely nerve-racking for newer players, and even more experienced players often make the mistakes that MonsterDface discusses, so it’s definitely worth the time that it takes to watch the tutorial. His first tip is one that he regularly comes back to in his content: use the right camera angle as often as possible. Basically, due to Fortnite being a third person game with the camera positioned slightly over the right shoulder, taking gun fights and peeking things on the right hand side of your character should make things easier for you as you can see more and hip fire more effectively.. His next tip is to fire and then build a wall and reposition when in a 1 vs. 1 battle with shotguns so that you minimize the amount of damage that you are taking: “you don’t want incoming fire to return back at you, you wanna catch all incoming fire. So fire, wall, reposition, rebuild, and then continue the push on players.” MonsterDface’s third focus is on how to build and chase down players during a Shotgun battle where both players are attempting to gain the high ground. He reminds you that it is actually viable to completely disengage from these battles and focus on winning them in a different way: “In shotgun fights, if you guys get really high in the sky, that is a red flag guys. You don’t wanna burn all of your resources hitting the skybox. You wanna keep in mind you can use other strategies like going down to the lower levels and bringing down the entire build fight.” His final tips focus on how to win a close range battle when you don’t actually have a Shotgun, and how to improve your overall movement and use of ADS during Shotgun fights. Check out the full video above for MonsterDface’s significantly more detailed explanations.

  • There’s Something Very Strange About the Slanted Roofs in Fortnite’s New Paradise Palms Location – Dexerto

There’s Something Very Strange About the Slanted Roofs in Fortnite’s New Paradise Palms Location Included as part of Season 5, the new Paradise Palms location has been largely a successful addition in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The one, true oasis in the middle of the newly formed desert area on the corner of the map, Paradise Palms has been a popular landing area for many among the game’s vast-player base. However, there appears to be something rather strange about the location, particularly having to do with the structures that have slanted roofs. As Reddit user ‘Dbroncos16′ pointed out the roofs’ peculiarity in a post on July 15. As the video demonstrates, these roofs appear, at first glance, to be made of wood, but when the character begins to walk on its surface, a distinct “clang” sound is produced, which is usually only heard when walking on metal. However, when the player begins smashing the wood with a pickaxe, brick resources are given out, rather than wood or metal. Although also befuddled , Reddit user ‘Rocqy’ attempted to provide his best explanation for the oddity, claiming that the roofs could be made out of clay. If it’s Arizona themed most of their roofs are clay tile which is made of clay bricks, still odd tho. What do you think is the explanation for this peculiarity in Paradise Palms?

  • These Dragon Ball Z Fortnite skins are so cool, that Ninja would pay $100 for each – Dexerto

These Dragon Ball Z Fortnite skins are so cool, that Ninja would pay $100 for each Fortnite concepts can be found a dime a dozen all over Reddit and social media, but sometimes one emerges that stands out above all others. This is referring to the recent project completed by the artist known online as ‘Ryai,’ who has created a series of Fortnite concept skins themed after the popular Japanese anime television series Dragon Ball Z. The concept Ryai has presented, called Universe Warrior, features three Dragon Ball Z themed outfit skins, all of which have their own unique properties. While the skill with which they’ve been drawn is commendable in its own right, the more impressive aspect of this concept is the fact that these skins are dynamic and change shape after a player using them gets a certain number of eliminations in-game. Read More: Fortnite player uses in-game piano to recreate iconic tune of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” – According to the image, once a player gets four eliminations, their in-game character goes into a mode called ‘Super Saiyan,’ which involves a considerable change in its appearance. For those who are unfamiliar with DBZ terminology, Super Saiyan refers to an advanced transformation that certain characters in the series assumed to achieve great power. The different Super Saiyan forms shown in the concept reflects the fact that characters in DBZ could reach different levels of the form, some stronger than others. While some of the forms in the image theoretically outweigh the others, these changes are purely cosmetic and would simply depend on which character skin the player chooses to equip. Not to be forgotten, the Nimbus Axe pickaxe is also very symbolic, since it combines the legendary Flying Nimbus cloud with the equally iconic Power Pole, both staples within the DBZ lore. I would pay $100 for these skins MINIMUM @FortniteGame @FortniteJP https://t.co/A9ED4y7Cwm — Ninja (@Ninja) November 10, 2018

  • There’s an easy way to complete Fortnite’s 30 seconds of airtime challenge – Dexerto

There’s an easy way to complete Fortnite’s 30 seconds of airtime challenge A clever Fortnite fan has found an easy way to complete Fortnite’s Season 6 Week 9 challenge, which requires players to get 30 seconds of airtime in a vehicle. The challenge asks players to fly one of the games vehicles into the air and keep it off the ground for 30 seconds, with the reward for completing it coming in the form of 5 Battle Pass stars. The challenge can be completed over a number of jumps in a game, meaning players don’t need to do all 30 seconds in one go. However, for Fortnite fans who want to complete the challenge easily and in one sitting, there is a handy way to earn your Battle Pass stars without learning how to do crazy tricks with the Quadcrasher. If a player can find some balloons on the map, and then find a Quadcrasher, they can use a combination of the items to complete the challenge with ease. Simply sit on the back of the Quadcrasher, and begin inflating balloons. Eventually, the balloons should be able to lift the Quadcrasher off the ground, allowing it to float into the air. As soon as the wheels leave the ground, the timer starts to count, so players simply need to keep inflating balloons as the others burst until the time is up. Once you’ve hit the thirty seconds mark, a pop-up will appear on the left hand side of the screen confirming the challenge is complete, allowing you to float back down to earth and be on your way. This challenge is included in the three weekly challenges that Fortnite release for free, while the other four challenges are only available for players who purchased the Season 6 Battle Pass. One of the other free challenges for Week 6 requires players to play on the Carnival Clown Boards, a fairground game located at various areas around the map. If you’re having difficulty finding them, you can click here to find our handy map that has every location marked.

  • There’s a new four-way teleportation junction under Wailing Woods – Dexerto

There’s a new four-way teleportation junction under Wailing Woods The bunker under the Wailing Woods location in Fortnite Battle Royale now features what looks to be a teleportation junction. This junction has been added as part of the v6.30 update, which went live early on November 14. The large space has several floors to it and strongly resembles a sort-of underground sewage system, with four large pipes on each of the four main walls. However, the large pipes don’t really lead anywhere, and instead, have rift-like portals that allow players to faze through the wall and end up on the other side. It appears as though some of the areas that the portals lead to and have no other entrances or exits and are only accessible via a portal. Here is a video clip of this new teleportation junction, courtesy of Reddit user ‘TimSad.’ The purpose of this new area is not clear, as it does not appear that players can yet use the portals to travel anywhere except the other side of a wall. However, it opens the door for Epic Games to begin experimenting with teleportation on a larger scale, especially if junctions like this are added to other parts of the map and fast-travel between multiple junctions becomes a possibility. Although they look similar, these portals should not be confused with Rifts, which thrust players into the sky and allow them to land on the map again. Unlike those rifts, the portals allow players to travel more directly and do not close after they’ve been used once. Interestingly enough, the new portals were not mentioned in the v6.30 patch notes, which wouldn’t be the first time Epic have added new things into the game without announcing them. An in-depth look at the v6.30 patch notes can be viewed HERE.

  • There’s a way to ‘juggle’ four items while sprinting in Fortnite – Dexerto

There’s a way to ‘juggle’ four items while sprinting in Fortnite ‘Juggling’ has been used in Fortnite Battle Royale for a relatively long time, and now someone has found a way to take the technique to a whole new level. Juggling is referred to the method of constantly equipping and un-equipping items while moving as a way to carry more than the five allowed items for a period of time. This can be especially useful for players who are trying to sort out their loot and inventory but have to first escape the rush of an oncoming Storm. Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez‘ has determined that there is a way to consistently juggle up to four items. In a video he posted online, he breaks down the important aspects of this advanced technique. “The way I do it is, I’ve made the pick-up/use button my scroll wheel, and I did just scroll wheel down,” he explained. “So instead of spamming E or G or whatever on the keyboard, I use my mouse wheel.” Another important thing to note is that a specific angle needs to be maintained in order to execute this method properly. “The angle is probably the most important thing. You kind of want have this angle [shown below]. It’s ideal because it also let’s you see where you’re going, and you can even turn.” The Reddit user went on to say that the technique could even be used to juggle around five items at once, but that can be a lot less consistent. A good way to practice this advanced juggling is to load into the Playground mode and try it out with a variety of items and get a good feel before taking it into an actual match.

  • There’s a big problem with Fortnite’s material farming system – Dexerto

There’s a big problem with Fortnite’s material farming system Some Fortnite fans are calling on Epic Games to make changes to the way materials are farmed in the popular battle royale title. Building is one of the most important aspects of Fortnite, and sets the game apart from other battle royales by giving players the ability to create their own cover. Due to the importance of building, farming materials has also become a major part of the game, with players required to use their pickaxe to destroy items like trees or walls to gain materials that they can then use to build. While building has become more and more important throughout the year and a half that Fortnite has been released, some fans believe that Epic Games have failed to update the farming system to match the advancements made in building. Building in Fortnite is now much more prevalent than it was early in the game, with many perfecting their skills throughout the course of the seven Fortnite seasons. While many would expect changes to the farming system to match the increase in building, Epic have done the opposite, actually lowering the farming rate, and reducing the number of materials players can receive from chests or supply drops from stacks of 30 to 20. This means players are forced to spend more time working to earn materials and less time actually playing the game, with many feeling that this part of the game has become boring and tedious. There are ways Epic can fix this. Simply adjusting the farming levels to allow Fortnite players to gain materials quicker would solve this. They could also lower the maximum amount of materials a player could hold to ensure that every gunfight doesn’t become a massive building battle. Whether Epic Games decide to make any changes to the system remains to be seen, but Fortnite fans are hopeful that the developers will make adjustments in a future patch.

  • There’s a brand new way to perform the bunny hop technique in Fortnite – Dexerto

There’s a brand new way to perform the bunny hop technique in Fortnite Fans of Fortnite Battle Royale will be glad to hear that a clever player has found a new way to perform the bunny hopping technique that lets you quickly move around the map. Fortnite players had previously figured out that if you were to keep jumping when you hit the ground after using a bounce pit, players could cover long distances in a short space of time, as your player would carry the momentum of the initial jump forward. Unfortunately, Epic Games quickly moved to patch this and limited the bunny hop to one bounce. Players would be able to jump once when they hit the ground, but would immediately stop dead when they attempted a second jump. Thankfully Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez’ has found a new way to perform the trick, and it’s surprisingly easy to perform. ImSpeedyGonzalez reveals that by using your glider to fly down off of a tall ledge, landing on a structure that is one story high, immediately jumping off and then re-deploying your glider again before you hit the ground, players can keep bouncing forward thanks to the momentum of the original jump. This means that players can quickly leave an area without the use of a glider, or any items such as a launch pad or a Rift-To-Go, however players should note that they cannot bunny hop forever. This new way to perform the bunny hop was found in the aftermath of the release of the V6.22 update for the battle royale title, which introduced the new Heavy AR and saw the return of popular game mode Blitz. While it’s unknown as to whether Epic Games included the new bunny hop on purpose, it could be extremely useful in Blitz, where the circles close in on players much quicker, meaning players could make a speedy escape from the chasing storm.

  • There is something seriously wrong with one of Fortnite’s Week 6 challenges – Dexerto

There is something seriously wrong with one of Fortnite’s Week 6 challenges The weekly challenges for this week six of Fortnite Battle Royale were rolled out on January 10, and players were quick to notice that something was off about the list. As usual, this week’s challenges are comprised of three that are available for everyone to complete and four that are reserved exclusively for those who own this season’s Battle Pass. One of the Battle Pass challenges has three stages, the third of which requires players to deal 200 points of damage to opponents using Grenades, Clingers, or Stink Bombs. There is an issue with that list of options however, as Clingers were vaulted a month ago and would thus be impossible to use for the purposes of this challenge. Read More: Dr DisRespect compares Epic Games to Daybreak after hilarious, rage-induced Fortnite death – As expected, it did not take long for players to take to social media and Reddit to point out this error and take the opportunity to roast Epic Games in the process. Players are reporting that Dynamite, the explosive that essentially took the place of Clingers, works for the purposes of this challenge, which leads to the possibility that the developers meant to put the new explosive in the list instead of the old one. An error like this has led some to question how on top of things some employees at Epic Games are, considering this was not the first oversight that a representative made today. On December 10, a Reddit user posted a suggestion for improving Mounted Turrets that Epic employee ‘EpicDustyDevo’ thought was a brand new idea, when in fact the concept had already been implemented and was just being hindered by a bug.

  • There Was a Bug in Fortnite That Allowed Players To Use Weapons and Build as Thanos – Dexerto

There Was a Bug in Fortnite That Allowed Players To Use Weapons and Build as Thanos There appears to have been a game-changing glitch in the Fortnite x Avengers Limited Time Mode of the popular Fortnite: Battle Royale video game. This glitch allowed players to use weapons and build structures while playing as Thanos, the all-powerful villain character that is the focus of this mode. As the name would suggest, the Fortnite x Avengers LTM was a mashup between the Battle Royale game and the recently released film. In this LTM, players landed on the Fortnite map and search for the Infinity Gauntlet, which is the all-powerful weapon wielded by Thanos, the main villain in . Whoever was able to find and equip the Gauntlet turns into Thanos and gained several powers and an advantage against the remaining players on the map. In order to balance out these powerful attacks and advantages, players were not able to use regular weapons or build structures while playing as Thanos. However, Reddit user ‘FineNova’ had discovered a bug in the game that allowed players to do just those very things, as seen in the video he posted on the website. It was not clear when and how often this glitch happens, but one telling sign that something was off was when the player equipped the Infinity Gauntlet, and the usual animation of transforming into Thanos high in the sky did not occur. With this Fortnite x Avengers LTM went offline with the release of the v4.2 update, it is a shame that this glitch came into the center of attention so late in the life-span of the LTM.

  • There could be a massive event involving Cube Island coming to Fortnite – Dexerto

There could be a massive event involving Cube Island coming to Fortnite Patch V6.10 just released for Fortnite Battle Royale, but data miners are already hard at work searching for clues and hints at what the future may hold for the popular game. While searching through the files that came with the update, miners have found some that suggest that the runes in the Fortnite map that were created by the cube (and have since created smaller parts of the island when it has floated over them) may become part of another major event coming in the future. According to files that are linked to the island, the rune locations will perform five actions during this event: open, focus, pulse, beam and close. While there is no official information on what these actually mean, it’s interesting to note that that openings appear to be scheduled to open and close. And with beams mentioned, it’s possible they could do damage to players, or provide them with new abilities we haven’t seen yet in Fortnite. Leakers have also managed to get their hands on new audio files that are directly related to the event. One that appears to be some sort of music, while another involves background noises for the event. *CUBE EVENT SOUNDS PART 1: THE LESS SPOOKY ONES* This is the smaller sounds, had to make a separate video for the BIG sound file. pic.twitter.com/t13tS9DMdP — :ghost:Sudanym:ghost: (@Sud4nym) October 16, 2018 *CUBE EVENT “”MUSIC””* Thoughts…? Data miners have been hard at working sifting through the new files that came with the V6.10 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale. Upcoming skins have already been revealed, alongside brand new cosmetics. The V6.10 update brought the new Quadcrasher vehicle to Fortnite Battle Royale, alongside a new Events tab to help keep fans of the game up to date on the latest esports events and tournaments taking place.

  • Epic Games confirm big changes coming to Fortnite’s Campfires – Dexerto

Epic Games confirm big changes coming to Fortnite’s Campfires Epic Games have announced that some major adjustments will be made to Cozy Campfires in Fortnite in a future update to the game. The game already has an item called the Cozy Campfire, which players can place down on a flat surface and use to regenerate health. The item heals any player who is standing around it, and will last for a maximum of 25 seconds before it burns out. In the comments of a post on the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit, an Epic Games employee with the username EpicRook confirmed that the developers had been looking at the Cozy Campfire item, and would be adding new features regarding the item in the future. In the comment, EpicRook stated that they plan to “extend campfire gameplay further by allowing players to interact with the existing campfires found throughout the environment.” Players will simply interact with a campfire to light it, with the campfire acting like the normal Cozy Campfire from that point on. Any campfire that has already been lit cannot be used again, with EpicRook confirming that they will be added new art to make it clear whether the campfire has been activated or not. EpicRook also stated that more campfires would be added to the Fortnite environment, giving players a greater opportunity to utilize these items. The announcement of the change was met with praise on the Fortnite subreddit, with many stating that they liked the idea of the environment in the game becoming more interactive. There’s currently no official information as to when the changes to the campfires will be implemented, but with Epic Games releasing weekly updates to Fortnite, it’s possible we may see them as early as next week.

  • The Weeknd headlines Fortnite concert as Festival game mode launches – Dexerto

The Weeknd headlines Fortnite concert as Festival game mode launches Epic GamesThe Weeknd is coming to Fortnite just a week after Eminem’s big bang concert to kick off the launch of Fortnite Festival, a rhythm game that has Rock Band’s devs coming back to bring music games to a new audience. Fortnite has been no stranger to getting big musical artists to feature in their game in the past. For instance, Travis Scott’s Fortnite concert was a massive event that, at the time of writing, has over 211 million views on YouTube. Eminem’s The Big Bang event came at the start of Fortnite Season 5 and announced not only new content for the game, but also entirely new games being built within Fortnite’s ecosystem. Along with LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival is coming. It’s developed by Harmonix, Rock Band’s original developer, and it’s kicking off with a concert that features The Weeknd. The Weeknd headlines for Fortnite Festival’s first season With music being such a big part of Fortnite’s identity for the past few years, it’s no surprise that they’re looking to make an entire game out of its music mechanics with Fortnite Festival being announced. In order to help Fortnite Festival get off the ground as its own game, The Weeknd is lending his likeness and music to the very first content drop to get fans of his excited for the game. On December 9, he’ll be holding a concert just like Eminem’s where players will get to play along with the beat like was shown off with the musical integration in The Big Bang concert. This opens the door for a number of other artists to feature in Fortnite Festival and build out its portfolio of songs as the game adds content post launch. Not too much is known about Fortnite Festival’s full song list, with Epic Games only having this to say so far in their press release: “Fortnite Festival is a new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favourite artists. Built by Harmonix, the studio behind the iconic music game Rock Band, Festival marks the beginning of music gaming in Fortnite.” And, though Season 5 will be live on December 3, Fortnite Festival won’t be out until December 9 when The Weeknd comes to the game.

  • The Unluckiest Fortnite Elimination Ever as Shopping Cart Appears to Come Alive and Take Out Player – Dexerto

The Unluckiest Fortnite Elimination Ever as Shopping Cart Appears to Come Alive and Take Out Player There are a lot of ways to be eliminated in Fortnite Battle Royale – guns, explosives, the storm, falling damage or even traps – but one very unlucky player experienced likely the most bizarre elimination ever after a Shopping Cart seemed to have a mind of its own. Shopping Carts were added to the Battle Royale mode of Fortnite during season four of the battle pass, and are effectively the first ‘vehicle’ in the game. They are more a novelty however, providing players with limited speed and not much benefit over simply being on foot, but there are a lot of fun and can be used to pull of some airtime. Sprinkled around the map, players can simply approach a shopping cart and select to ‘drive’ it, and if with a teammate they can also hop on top and ride shotgun. What shopping carts are definitely not though, are lethal. Save for accidentally jumping from to high and suffering fall damage, there is really now way for a shopping cart to get a kill – until now. Reddit user u/newmanuai posted a video in which they approach two stationary carts, and start to harvest timber from the nearby trees. Using Fortnite’s replay mode brilliantly, they pinpoint when the cart starts to very slowly creep forward, before plummeting off the side of the cliff and straight into the player on the ramp below – sending him soaring to his death. And once the clip was posted, other users also reported similar occurrences of shopping carts seemingly being possessed to target players on the map, which begs the question if Epic Games programmed them to do it on occasion as a bit of a troll. But, always observant on social channels, an Epic employee replied to another mysterious shopping cart attack just as entertained as everyone else. So let it be a warning not to mess with the shopping carts, unless planning on using one, it is maybe best to keep your distance.

  • The Second Fortnite Battle Royale Season 5 Teaser Image Is Just as Mysterious as the First – Dexerto

The Second Fortnite Battle Royale Season 5 Teaser Image Is Just as Mysterious as the First Epic Games has released a second teaser image for Season 5 of Fortnite Battle Royale and we have just as many questions about this one as we did with the first. Captioned with “2 days until Season 5…”, the second image shows a similar color scheme but this time the image in the background is an ancient looking axe. In this picture, the axe itself seems to be causing the crack on the screen, but it is hard to tell whether this is simply artistic license or yet another clue. There was also a crack in front of the animal’s face in the first teaser image that was released and they both look virtually identical to the ones that have been appearing in the Fortnite sky ever since the rocket launch event on June 30th. Some of the initial thoughts about the animal’s face in the first image was that it looked very similar to the kitsune masks that are made by the Japanese. A description of the kitsune from Japanese folklore that said they could “bend time and space” also seemed to fit in well with current events in Fortnite. The second image could potentially also be hinting towards some form of mythology or historical setting as it looks to be of Norse design. Norse mythology involves gods like Thor, Odin, and Loki, and is usually associated with the vikings. begin on July 12th at 09:00 BST (04:00 EDT).Make sure you set an alarm, because you won’t want to miss this!

  • The Rock’s Fortnite tease suggests popular fan theory was right all along – Dexerto

The Rock’s Fortnite tease suggests popular fan theory was right all along Epic Games / The RockFortnite and Dwanye ‘The Rock’ Johnson have been tied up in a fan theory for some time now. But in a recent Twitter post, the man himself might have teased they were right all along. For a game with no traditional campaign, Fornite Battle Royale’s ongoing story is a constant source of fan speculation. Testament to how Epic Games have sucked players into the universe of a title where each match has the exact same format. With Chapter 3 almost upon us, the chat among fans has never been stronger as they try and figure out what’s in store after The End event. But it’s actually an old theory that has fans speculating once again. Although he’s never appeared in Fortnite as himself, The Rock has been the subject of a long-running theory. And the actor has just dropped the biggest hint yet that it was true all along. Ever since he first appeared at the end of Chapter 2 Season 5, Fortnite fans have speculated that The Foundation, leader of The Seven, is actually being played by the former WWE superstar. Not only does the masked character’s voice bear a resemblance to that of the Fast & Furious star, but his armor also looks similar to The Rock’s tattoo on his left side. Dataminers also found in the game’s files that all of The Foundations lines are stored in a folder called “DJ” (as in, Dwayne Johnson). We had a few glimpses of The Foundation since he debuted, and the speculation has never really gone away. Now, The Rock has given his own wink to the fan theory. In a recent Twitter video discussing his Zoa Energy brand, Johnson pulls an ice-cold can out of a fridge. On the top shelf, among the cans, you can The Foundation’s helmet sitting there. Although he doesn’t acknowledge it, it is a clear nod to Fortnite fans, and he even capitalizes the words “Foundation” and “Zero Point”. Unfortunately, there’s no way of telling from this post if we will be seeing The Rock on the island any time soon. That being said, with Chapter 3 and a whole new Battle Pass coming soon, there might be room for an unmasked Foundation skin with Johnson’s face. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out the answers to this ongoing mystery. Stay tuned on Dexerto for all the latest news about the new era of Fortnite.

The Rock is destroying all evidence of Fortnite Winterfest in-game Epic GamesWhen Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson arrived in Fortnite Chapter 3 players could never have expected him to turn into The Grinch over Christmas, but that’s exactly what has happened. The most electrifying man in all of sports and entertainment came crashing down to the Fortnite island in December 2021 and still roams around behind a mask as a non-playable character (NPC). However, people have started to notice something very different about how he’s conducting himself in the battle royale mode. On January 6, Reddit user CitrusRaptor posted a clip that showed The Rock has had enough of the festive season and can’t wait for it to end – destroying assets added in the Winterfest update this December. The Rock is over Christmas The short video can be seen below, where the NPC walks right towards a Christmas tree, destroys the presents beneath it, and proceeds to chop the tree down. One player responded: “He really doesn’t like it when something is in his path. I was trying to talk to him and then he started throwing ‘Dwaynes’ at my whole squad.” Another joked: “I said ‘I just wanted to-‘ and he said “IT DOESN’T MATTER” and then cooked up stone soup for the whole squad so we would know our roles.” While it’s not clear what happened next in the game, the player was probably hoping the Rock left the loot-filled chests alone so they could collect the weapons inside.

The shape of his tribal tattoos is mirrored by the armor, with exact sizes lining up across the left shoulder. Beyond the design, in-game files also link The Rock to this new character. A number of audio files for The Foundation skin are listed in a particular folder under the hood. In the game’s files, these voice lines can be found in a folder called ‘DJ.’ While this could be a red herring, DJ clearly makes for another great hint, pointing towards Dwayne Johnson’s involvement. We’ll have to wait and see just how Season 6 unfolds for now. Though it’s possible something major could be in the works for the ongoing storyline. Rock’s addition to Fortnite would be one of the biggest crossovers to date. Read More: What’s in the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass? – Keep your eyes peeled for any further teasers as the weeks go by. • The Real Reason Why Rifts Have Been Disabled in Fortnite – Dexerto

The Real Reason Why Rifts Have Been Disabled in Fortnite The Fortnite community was faced with sudden news early on August 17 as Epic Games announced that Rifts had been disabled indefinitely. However, in the announcement, Epic did not provide the specific reason or issue that had led to their decision to disable the Rifts. It turns out that there was a serious glitch in Fortnite involving the Rifts that was allowing players to essentially get free wins. Setting up to take advantage of this glitch was relatively easy: two players would need to first land and acquire some materials and their own ATKs. The players would then need to locate a Rift and build a platform just underneath it, and then use the platform to drive the two ATKs into the Rift at the same exact time. While one player would fall out of the Rift and descend onto the map normally, the other one would enter a “god mode,” and hover above the map without being able to be shot at, take damage from the storm, or get eliminated in any way. The player could just stay in that state until all of the others on the map got eliminated, thus claiming an easy Victory Royale. Here is a demonstration of this process, courtesy of YouTuber ‘OrangeGuy.’ It’s not clear how long this glitch existed in Fortnite, and how many people were able to take advantage of it to rack up their win total. However, now that it is being addressed, it will be worth keeping an eye to see whether Epic Games will subtract players’ wins that were

The Purple Cube in Fortnite has cracked open and is leaking into Leaky Lake The mysterious purple cube in Fortnite appears to have begun its next stage of transition, as players have spotted it cracking and now leaking a mysterious substance. Throughout Season 6, Fortnite players have been engrossed by the lore of the mysterious purple cube, which first appeared back in August, as it has gone on a crazy journey. • The Quad Launcher is finally coming to Fortnite – Dexerto

The Quad Launcher is finally coming to Fortnite The highly anticipated Quad Launcher item is finally on its way to Fortnite Battle Royale. The weapon was officially announced via the in-game news area, with Fortnite’s message of the day updated to reveal the launcher, along with the tagline: “Quickly fire up to 4 rockets to blanket an area with explosive damage.” The weapon is a rocket launcher. But, unlike previous versions of the weapon, the Quad Launcher features four barrels, allowing users to fire rockets extremely quickly, without the need to reload. Storm Shield One suggests that there will be two variations of the weapon, with Epic and Legendary rarities available. They claim that the Legendary version of the Quad Launcher will deal 84 damage, and take 4.5 seconds to reload. While the the weapon has four barrels, it’s unlikely that players will be able to fire all four rockets simultaneously, and it’s possible that Epic Games may add a delay between fire to ensure this. The Quad Launcher is already available in Fortnite’s other game mode, Save The World. Unfortunately, there is no official release date for the launcher in Battle Royale, but with the item being added to the Message of the Day menu, it’s safe to assume that it will be arriving very soon.

  • The Port-a-Fortess is causing major issues in Fortnite, as TSM’s Myth found out *UPDATED* – Dexerto

The Port-a-Fortess is causing major issues in Fortnite, as TSM’s Myth found out *UPDATED* Epic GamesThe recently added Port-a-Fortress is continuing to cause issues in Fortnite Battle Royale following the release of the Season 6 patch. The Port-a-Fortress was added to the game in the V5.41 patch on September 18. It’s a legendary version of the Port-a-Fort and offers significantly more protection than its predecessor. However, there have been a number of issues with it causing Fortnite to lag, especially when deployed in the late game when the storm circle is closing in on the final few players. Unfortunately, it looks like those issues were not addressed in the September 27 V6.0 patch that marked the start of Season 6 and brought numerous major changes to gameplay, weapons and more. Read More: How to find the secret Fortnite Battle Pass Star for Week 1 of the Hunting Party challenge – TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani experienced the infuriating issue in full effect while streaming after yesterday’s update, exclaiming “What’s happening?! What’s happening?! It’s full lag dude.” Concerns within the competitive Fortnite community are that this lag issue could have a direct impact on the results of this week’s Fall Skirmish tournament, with one Reddit user saying “Please disable before tomorrow, it ruined a couple games last week.” It’s not entirely clear what causes the Port-a-Fortress to make the game glitch so badly in late game scenarios, but it seems to be linked to how much building work has already been placed in the area that it is thrown. UPDATE: Epic Games have announced that they are temporarily disabling the Port-a-Fortress “to address degraded performance.” We have temporarily removed the Port-a-Fortress to address degraded performance.
