  • Stephen A. Smith picks his ideal Fortnite landing spot – Dexerto

Stephen A. Smith picks his ideal Fortnite landing spot Stephen A. Smith – XOn the Wednesday morning airing of his show, Stephen A. Smith was asked by one of his viewers where he’d land after deploying in Fortnite. Smith occasionally lets his audience ask non-sports related questions. This time around, he beheld the famed Battle Royale map with little knowledge of the third-person shooter game. Nevertheless, in classic Stephen A. fashion, Smith confidently zeroed in on where he’d start racking up resources and picking players off. He wound up selecting one of the most popular spots by happenstance. Stephen A. Smith goes all in with Tilted Towers The boisterous sports analyst poo-pooed Loot Lake as a place that Fortnite competitors wouldn’t go to. He also acknowledged spots like Tomato Town. Ultimately, the “Stephen A. Smith Show” host settled with Tilted Towers: “I’m gonna go with Tilted Towers. You know why? It’s right in the middle here, and it looks like that’s where all the action is,” Smith correctly presumed. “When you see this right here, that looks like a palatial mansion in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by grass and all this other stuff.” Coincidentally, Tilted Towers is where more experienced players land to pile on their kill counts. There isn’t much nature within the confines to allocate wood and bricks for building. However, weaponry is abundant on the many levels of both towers. The high ground makes for a sniper’s paradise. Tilted Towers is also great for shotgun wielders to knock down opposing users in duos, trios, squads and other team game modes. Smith went on to rhythmically conclude by saying, “Where the parties at? Where the parties at? I’m going with Tilted Towers.” If a gunfight is Smith’s idea of where the party is at, then he’d have a good time at Tilted Towers. If his play style were to match his personality, Smith’s trash talk would be gold on Fortnite live streams.

  • Store Called ‘Epic Loot Games’ Getting Hundreds of Calls from Angry Fortnite Players Who Think it is Epic Games – Dexerto

Store Called ‘Epic Loot Games’ Getting Hundreds of Calls from Angry Fortnite Players Who Think it is Epic Games A small shop in a mall in Ohio named ‘Epic Loot Games’ has apparently been receiving hundreds of calls from angry Fortnite players who mistakenly believe they are calling Epic Games. Of course, Epic Games are the development studio behind the insanely popular battle royale game, and it is just an unfortunate coincidence that this small store has such a similar name. The store has apparently taken calls from hundreds of disgruntled Fortnite players, many of whom proceed to curse and complain to store staff, thinking they are speaking to Epic Games support. ‘Loot’ is obviously a key part of Fortnite as well, so the name really couldn’t be any more unlucky. Speaking to Kotaku, assistant manager at the store Hunter Davies says he often ‘plays bartender’ to these angry players, most of whom raging about weapons, mechanics, servers and lag in the game. “A kid between nine and 16 screamed expletives at me: ‘’ Then he just hung up on me. There are so many calls – pranks, angry gamers, kids who don’t understand why the support doesn’t have a readily available method of contact. We started telling them to use the website because they can’t actually talk to anyone on the phone.” And that is not all, as some callers are so unhappy about something that they will even demand monetary compensation and refunds for what they deem to be losses caused by the game. “A really upset kid called because he said his mom is taking him to counseling because of his anger issues. He was throwing controllers, cussing people out in the game. I think he got banned. He wanted us to make up for the fact he had to go to a counsellor. I tried to genuinely make him understand we weren’t affiliated, but he either didn’t care or was convinced we were the support team, we were brushing him off and we didn’t want to help him.” Davies also told of a story where a kid had spent money on skins and hadn’t recieved them in game, and called on numerous occasions to complain. “He kept calling on his mom’s cell phone. His mom eventually picked up the phone and told us to stop calling and harassing her son.” Fortnite players should be made aware, it is not possible to contact the actual Epic Games over the phone, only email correspondence can be made.

  • Stephen A. Smith now wants his own Fortnite skin – Dexerto

Stephen A. Smith now wants his own Fortnite skin Stephen A. Smith/Epic GamesSports broadcaster Stephen A. Smith has asked for a Fortnite skin on social media. Here’s how fans of the TV star reacted and what the concept looks like. Fortnite boasts a diverse range of skins, including fictitious characters and real-world celebrities from sports, music, and internet streaming. Ninja, The Weeknd, LeBron James, and others have all gotten Fortnite Icon Series skins, which fans have appreciated and purchased from the Item Shop. However, acquiring a skin for yourself in Fortnite is a time-consuming procedure that needs face scanning and financial logistics to determine the price at which the item will be offered in the Item Shop. Nonetheless, some celebrities, like Dr. Phil, have desired to get their Fortnite skin in recent days. However, he has been joined by another TV star, Stephen A Smith, who also wants his own Fortnite skin after they chose their drop point on the OG Fortnite map. Here’s how fans responded. Stephen A. Smith fans go wild after he demands his own Fortnite skin In response to an X post by a user, Stephen A. Smith has shared an image of an AI concept of his own Fortnite skin, asking the official X handle of the game, “When we going to make this happen?” The concept art perfectly captures Smith’s signature hair and beard style, complete with a suit. However, the gliders, which are parachutes around him, give it away as an AI art. Fans of the TV personality have since then gone wild and are now demanding Fortnite grants him his own skin. One such fan said, “If I get one pumped by Stephen A Smith, I might never play Fortnite again.” Another chimed in, “I’d spend V-Bucks so quick.” A third one wrote, “Lol it would be badass to play with Stephen A on Fortnite, and I don’t even play Fortnite like that lmao.” A fourth user commented, “First Dr Phil, now you? Damn everyone wants that money and I don’t blame them LMAO.” A fifth one replied, “You have to have a ‘yea yea yea’ emote.”

  • Stardew Valley creator wants Fortnite collab with multiple characters and weapons – Dexerto

Stardew Valley creator wants Fortnite collab with multiple characters and weapons Epic games/DexertoFortnite may soon feature a Stardew Valley collab after creator ConcernedApe has expressed interest in collaborating with the Battle Royale to offer multiple characters, weapons, and other features. Epic Games has a history of collaborating with well-known pop culture brands such as Marvel and Star Wars and other games such as Doom and Halo to bring iconic characters to Fortnite. The game’s latest collaboration features a Marvel-themed season with various heroes and villains released in the Battle Pass and some in the Item Shop. Despite the occasional themed collabs, players are always looking for additional crossovers during the season or in the form of cosmetic items. However, Fortnite rarely collaborates with a popular game unless the game’s fan base or creators express interest. The designer of the popular life simulation game Stardew Valley has openly indicated interest in working with Epic’s Battle Royale to offer characters like Pam, Abigail, and Sebastian as in-game skins. Concerned Ape told Fortnite YouTuber Panedwards that he has been attempting to collaborate with the game and would like to import several characters from Stardew Valley. He also expressed his desire to see Stardrop or Joja Cola as consumable items in Fortnite, as well as the Galaxy Sword or Slingshot as potential weaponry. Fans of Stardew Valley were excited to hear this from the creator of the life-sim title and expressed their eagerness for such a crossover. One said, “As funny as Pam in Fortnite would be, I like the idea of Abigail and Sebastian if it is for Battle Royale. It could somehow make it clear that they are playing it as an arcade or console game (rather than actually shooting people) which could be really fun!” Another asked, “Maybe he could create his own Stardew Valley map for Fortnite first to encourage Epic to do a crossover?” Some people questioned how it would work because Stardew Valley features 2D characters in a pixel graphic style, but Fortnite employs 3D imagery. Regardless, it would be great to see how the collaboration would appear, especially because Fall Guys Beans was released in Fortnite with UEFN and Battle Royale as an obstacle course, which at the time sounded unbelievable.

Steering Wheel and Steerable wheels are finally coming to LEGO Fortnite LEGO / Epic GamesEpic Games has finally announced that a Steering Wheel and Steerable wheels are finally coming to LEGO Fortnite, and here are all the details we know. Fans absolutely love LEGO Fortnite, and nearly immediately after Epic Games released the new mode it broke player count records. Fortnite fans were overjoyed when they discovered that Epic Games is now adding steerable wheels and a steering wheel to LEGO Fortnite, allowing players to build new vehicles that they never thought were achievable. The official LEGO Fortnite account released two posts about a new LEGO Fortnite update, one showing a picture of a steerable LEGO wheel, the other a LEGO steering wheel, and players can expect to get their hands on both new wheels on Tuesday, March 26. Many Fortnite fans couldn’t contain their excitement. “Heck yeah! Had a feeling a new wheel was needed for the steering wheel,” said one fan. “W Lego,” agreed another. Some people like the appearance of the new steerable wheels so much that they pleaded to Epic Games to add it to Rocket Racing as well so that they can win races in LEGO style. “Please have these wheels in rocket racing to purchase too,” they said. For some, this March 26 update should have come much sooner, but regardless we can’t wait to see what awesome new LEGO inventions players will come up with once released.

  • Star Wars fans think they’re being trolled by new Fortnite skins – Dexerto

Star Wars fans think they’re being trolled by new Fortnite skins Epic GamesStar Wars fans are now convinced that Fortnite Battle Royale’s skins are trolling them. Fortnite players have been able to channel their inner Jedi for quite some time. Numerous crossovers between the massively popular battle royale game and Star Wars have brought beloved characters and weapons – including the famous lightsaber – into Fortnite. From Kylo Ren to Boba Fett to the common Stormtrooper, Star Wars has been one of the most-prevalent cosmetics in Fortnite. New skins will often release in concert with the latest Star Wars movie or show. The newest entries into the Star Wars Fortnite collection, Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi, coincided with the newest series, Kenobi, which is currently airing on Disney Plus. But Star Wars fans have noticed a small detail in the latest skins that has them riled up. New Star Wars skins are trolling fans In a post on Reddit, user KwokAndBirdLTD pointed out that both of the new skins for Vader and Obi-Wan each feature a lightsaber on the character model. Read More: How to play Fortnite Split Screen – But, as many players have pointed out, Star Wars fans are still waiting for lightsaber pickaxes to be added to Fortnite. This has been one of the biggest requests by Fortnite players for a while, and there have been rumors for quite a while that lightsaber pickaxes would be coming. As of now, nothing concrete has been confirmed. Lightsabers have been a part of Fortnite in the past as a melee weapon, as part of a limited-time event. Players have been eagerly awaiting the return of lightsabers as a weapon as well. Many would also love the chance to have a permanent lightsaber in their arsenal. Players would no longer have to wait for an event that would justify Epic Games putting lightsabers back into Fortnite. It would also remove any concern that the lightsaber might be vaulted for being overpowered as a weapon if it was instead a pickaxe cosmetic. For now, though, players will be taunted by the image of a weapon on Obi-Wan and Vader’s hips that they cannot use.

  • Star Wars items that Epic should add to Fortnite – Dexerto

Star Wars items that Epic should add to Fortnite A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Imperial Stormtroopers landed on a strange new planet. This planet consists of only one island, is ravaged by hourly storms that move inward, and is inhabited by people who only communicate through dance. Yes, Star Wars has come to Fortnite by way of a collaboration that has so far produced the Stromtrooper skin, and an Imperial Star Destroyer lingering on the horizon. While this isn’t the latest pop culture crossover event for Fortnite, it could be the greatest if they were to add a few things, and avoid a couple more. 1. Kylo Ren’s lightsaber as a pickaxe Any lightsaber would be a welcome addition to Fortnite as a new pickaxe, especially some of the more unique ones. Count Dooku’s crooked hilt lightsaber and Darth Maul’s double-bladed stand out, but Kylo Ren’s unique lightsaber is the most impressive looking. Those Sith sure know how to style their sabers. Kylo Ren’s iconic weapon is known as a crossguard lightsaber, named after the crossguard part of swords that sits between the hilt and the blade. The violent nature of Ren’s quillons, which are the smaller blades that extend from the hilt, is due to a cracked kyber crystal, which suggests that Ren rushed through the process of crafting his lightsaber. But that rush would be nothing compared to the rush of hearing the iconic hum and swinging sounds of a lightsaber after hopping off the party bus. 2. More new weapons As cool as lightsabers are, and they are indeed very cool, they wouldn’t be weapons in Fortnite unless the ‘throw lightsaber’ ability was added. But that change would make Fortnite the Death Star, and make the meta Alderaan. However, there are other weapons from Star Wars that would be welcome additions as well. Chewbacca’s bowcaster comes to mind and could be introduced as a semi-automatic rifle that doesn’t have quite the range or damage of a sniper, but has a higher fire rate and bigger ammo clip. They could also add it as a heavy weapon that fires off small explosive rounds. If Fortnite really wanted to go in with new weapons, Epic could introduce a new weapon system as well, as most firearms in Star Wars use energy packs instead of traditional bullets. This would open Fortnite up to include guns like Han Solo’s blaster, Jango Fett’s custom duel pistols, and much more. 3. Piggyback Yoda and BB-8 backpacks While we wish we could take credit for the idea for a Yoda backpack, the idea was initially suggested by reddit user ian_juniper on the Fortnite subreddit. In Empire Strikes Back, Luke travels to Dagobah to begin his Jedi training with Yoda, who rides on his back delivering sage advice while Luke flips and travels through the swamp. While the Fortnite version wouldn’t be able to deliver advice, one fan suggested that notifications that pop up could be translated to Yoda-speak while the backpack is equipped. Annoying for the developers but fun, that idea would be. If Fortnite wants players to retain traditional backpacks, Epic could add a whole host of backpack pets from the Star Wars universe, including the beloved soccer-ball-shaped droid BB-8. Ideally, he could deliver his trademark thumbs-up after a player kill. In addition, they could add the Porgs from The Last Jedi, Jabba’s laughing pet Kowakian monkey-lizard from Return of the Jedi, or even a baby Rancor. What they SHOULDN’T do Please, please, please don’t add a lightsaber to the middle of the map that turns the player into a Jedi when you pick it up. If anyone still hasn’t wiped the memory of Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet from their mind, it’s a reminder of how hard it is to achieve the perfect balance. Either becoming a Jedi isn’t made powerful enough, causing players to be let down, or it makes the Jedi too powerful. At the very least, it would get #NerfJedi trending for likely the first time ever, but like the Force, an unbalanced meta means trouble for the galaxy. Also, the trouble that the B.R.U.T.E mech suit caused should serve as a fair warning that introducing any of the AT walkers, as rad as that would be to see, would very likely break the game as well.

  • Fortnite duo Aydan and Bizzle leave Ghost Gaming in surprise move – Dexerto

Fortnite duo Aydan and Bizzle leave Ghost Gaming in surprise move Twitch: Aydan/Epic GamesTwo of the world’s best Fortnite players, Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller and Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad, have confirmed their respective departures from organization Ghost Gaming – within an hour of one another. Nearly every competitive Fortnite fan will be familiar with the names of Aydan and Bizzle. The former has become known as one of the world’s best controller players, while Bizzle managed to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup multiple times, including once without using guns. Recently, however, Aydan has even proved his talent on other titles, winning the $100k Twitch Rivals Warzone tournament alongside members of CoD pro team Atlanta FaZe. On April 3, the all-round gaming star announced his departure from Ghost Gaming, the organisation with which he has made his name in esports. “I am officially parting ways with Ghost Gaming on good terms,” he said. “Ghost was the first and only organization I’ve been on and I’ve learned so much over the last 2 years.” Since joining Ghost Gaming in the summer of 2018, Aydan’s gaming career has gone from strength to strength. Originally starting as a Call of Duty streamer, the release of Epic Games’ Fortnite saw Aydan excel as one of the world’s best controller players. He placed 37th in the duos section of 2019’s Fortnite World Cup and previously held the world record for most kills in a console Solo match. The 20-year-old also thanked all of Ghost’s key staff and concluded by saying that he is “open” to offers from other organizations. Less than an hour later, also on April 3, Bizzle announced his departure from Ghost Gaming in a similar message. “I have mutually parted ways with Ghost Gaming,” he announced. “Ghost was my first org and the true start to my gaming career, from Pax West to Dreamhack they have been there for me and there are a lot of people I want to thank. I also wish Ghost the best of luck on its next chapter.” He also thanked many of Ghost’s hierarchy, and confirmed he is excited to join a new organization. As a result of the near-simultaneous departures, it’s fair to assume that Ghost Gaming will be looking to announce new content creators soon. Given the talents both men have displayed in the past couple of years, we can also expect them to be announcing new organizations in the very near future.

  • Stable Ronaldo fears Epic is “stalking” him over Fortnite criticism: “I will get banned” – Dexerto

Stable Ronaldo fears Epic is “stalking” him over Fortnite criticism: “I will get banned” YouTube: Stable Ronaldo / Epic GamesFortnite star ‘Stable Ronaldo’ is one of the game’s biggest names. However, the NRG member is scared Epic Games is “stalking” him in an attempt to ban him and “be used as the biggest example” for criticizing the game. Stable Ronaldo isn’t afraid to say what he thinks about Fortnite. With over a million Twitter followers and the same amount of fans on YouTube, his opinion holds weight. He’s fought back against decreased prize pools for pro players and criticized some in-game decisions too. However, he now believes his comments are coming back to haunt him, claiming Epic are “stalking” him and waiting to “make an example” out of him. “This company is watching me. It’s not something I’m exaggerating. You might think I’m overreaching, I’m 100% being watched,” he said on the Brand Risk podcast. “Every single move I’m making I’m being watched, I know that’s scary to say but I’m being so serious.” It comes after he was warned for toxicity earlier in September, on the same day MrSavage was banned during FNCS. The star doubled down on the claims later on, saying an Epic employee is watching him all day. “I’m being stalked by an Epic employee. I don’t know who it is. It’s not a main dude. They know I’m getting stream sniped, they know that my complaints are there, but they don’t give a sh*t because it doesn’t ruin their revenue. “They’re a brilliant company, but they’re crazy. I think I’m 100% being watched, and every move that I do is being tracked. Ronaldo said he’s contemplated suing Epic, but he can’t “because his whole life will be gone.” The related segment begins at 2:54:40. “I’m going to be used as the biggest example. I’m going to sh*t talk way too much one day, and they’re either going to sue me… It’d prove to everyone that you cannot sh*t talk us anymore. That’s why they made the [toxicity] sh*t.” Epic Games hasn’t commented on Ronaldo’s claims. While he promises to be unashamedly himself in the meanwhile, he’s counting down the days until he’s exiled from the community like FaZe Jarvis. “Eventually, I think I’m going to get banned. I will get banned one day, I’m promising you. I don’t know when, but I’m preparing myself.”

  • Staggering 90 Day Revenue Figures Make Fortnite’s Mobile Launch One of the Most Successful in History – Dexerto

Staggering 90 Day Revenue Figures Make Fortnite’s Mobile Launch One of the Most Successful in History Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale has made a staggering $100 million in revenue in the first 90 days since it was released on iOS, making it one of the most successful mobile game launches in history. Fortnite Battle Royale’s popularity is nothing short of staggering, and its release on iOS was one of the most highly anticipated launches of a mobile game in history. Now, according to new data from Sensor Tower, it has become the third most successful launch in mobile gaming history behind Niantic’s Pokémon GO and Supercell’s Clash Royale in terms of revenue. The popular analytics platform has reported that the Fortnite on mobile reached $100 million in “worldwide player spending” in just 90 days, and it hasn’t even been released on Android or available in China yet. When compared to its biggest rivals in the space, Fortnite on mobile smashed the records of games like Honor of Kings and Knives Out in the race to $100 million but did lose out to Clash Royale, which took just 51 days to hit the same milestone. Fortnite also comes second in terms of the top grossing mobile action games in the first 90 days, with Clash hitting $154 million in the same time span. Pokémon GO, according to Sensor Tower, had an even more impressive launch. However, it seems to have been left off of the graphs as it wouldn’t have been classed as direct competition for the “multiplayer mobile action games” genre. Sensor Tower states that “Epic Games seems to have found its winning revenue formula across console, PC, and mobile” through the sale of limited time items and the Battle Pass seasons, with the revenue quadrupling when Season 4 started. While the reports of Fortnite’s success on mobile are hardly surprising, considering the popularity on other platforms, the figures are still impressive. With an eventual release on Android, and in China as a whole, to look forward to, Fortnite on mobile promises to keep earning Epic Games a great deal of money in the future.

  • Special Fortnite announcement set for The Game Awards 2019 – Dexerto

Special Fortnite announcement set for The Game Awards 2019 The Game Awards take place on December 12 and during the event, there will be a special Fortnite announcement that fans of the popular battle royale won’t want to miss. As The Game Awards continues to grow in popularity, the more the show turns into a showcase for developers and publishers looking to show off their games. It seems like we can now officially add Epic Games into that category, as this will now be the second year in a row that a big announcement has been revealed for Fortnite. During the 2018 event, Epic Games announced The Block and the Creative mode which allowed players to make their own points of interest that would have a chance of being featured in the game. Tune in Dec 12 at 8:30 PM ET to see if Fortnite takes home an award at #TheGameAwards 📣 We’ll be making a special announcement during the show so don’t miss it 👀 — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 9, 2019 The Block has since been removed from the game when Chapter 2 launched, so perhaps this upcoming announcement could be a revamped version of it. There hasn’t been anything concrete about what to expect just yet, so all we can do in the meantime is speculate. Fortnite is a game that is constantly reinventing itself, and the addition of a Creative mode has been really well-received by the community. Whatever the announcement is, we can expect it to be something on the level of that since there will be a lot of eyes watching for something big. Of course, another reason to tune in would be to see if Fortnite will be taking home any awards at the event. Fortnite has four nominations in total and those include Best Ongoing Game, Best Esports Game, Best Esports Event, and Best Community Support. Bugha is nominated for Best Esports Player thanks to his dominating performance in the World Cup. There are plenty of contenders in each of these categories so Fortnite fans will need to keep their fingers crossed in hopes of coming away with a win in any of them. Even if Fortnite doesn’t bring home an award, it will still be exciting to see what the developers have in store for their ever-evolving battle royale title.

  • Sony Doubles Down on Not Allowing Fortnite Crossplay, Issues Ridiculous Excuse – Dexerto

Sony Doubles Down on Not Allowing Fortnite Crossplay, Issues Ridiculous Excuse Sony is doubling down on their stance to not allow console crossplay, or progression, in Fortnite. PC, Mac, Mobile, Xbox and Nintendo Switch all allow crossplay and shared Epic accounts. When asked about the possibility of allowing cross platform Fortnite, Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said the following: On cross-platform, our way of thinking is always that PlayStation is the best place to play. Fortnite, I believe, partnered with PlayStation 4, is the best experience for users. That’s our belief. Unfortunately for Yoshida, he did not stop there. But actually, we already opened some games as cross-platform with PC and some others, so we decide based on what is the best user experience. That is our way of thinking for cross-platform. Read More: How to Avoid Getting Pinched in Fortnite – Yoshida’s head-scratching ‘best user experience’ response conflicted with the comments of Sean Layden, the president and CEO of Sony’s Interactive Entertainment branch in America, who admitted it was a business decision while speaking with Eurogamer. “We’re looking at a lot of the possibilities. You can imagine that the circumstances around that affect a lot more than just one game. I’m confident we’ll get to a solution which will be understood and accepted by our gaming community, while at the same time supporting our business.” Sony’s policy further upset players because signing into an Epic account on a PlayStation 4 would lock it from being used on Nintendo Switch or Xbox One. Things like Fortnite skins and Battle Pass content earned on other consoles can not be used on PlayStation, even though Epic accounts can be shared across Xbox One and Switch. Sony did not warn players that their accounts could be locked when attempting to sign into other platforms. Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, have not commented on Sony’s crossplay stance. • PlayStation announce cross-play and cross progression for Fortnite on PS4 with all other platforms – Dexerto

PlayStation announce cross-play and cross progression for Fortnite on PS4 with all other platforms PlayStation have officially announced that Fortnite cross-platform play, progression and commerce will be available between PS4 and all other Fortnite platforms – including Xbox One. Sony revealed that it will be an extended ‘beta’, as they respond to growing community demand, and the negative reception to their previous stubbornness on cross play. The beta begins on September 26. “Open beta beginning today for Fortnite that will allow for cross platform gameplay, progression and commerce across PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Mac operating systems.” There is no set date on how long the beta will last, as Sony work to identify any security and technical issues, but say they will give more details on the “beta timeframe” soon. We see the beta as an opportunity to conduct thorough testing that ensures cross-platform play is best on PlayStation, while being mindful about the user experience from both a technical and social perspective. Cross-play with PC has been possible on PS4 since Fortnite’s release, at first unofficially as users found ways to use the Epic Games launcher to meet in the same lobby, and later added as a developer supported feature. • Someone Has Recreated the ‘In My Feelings’ Challenge in Fortnite – Dexerto

Someone Has Recreated the ‘In My Feelings’ Challenge in Fortnite The ‘In My Feelings’ challenge has swept social media by storm and it was only a matter of time before it was combined with Fortnite. The challenge involves dancing to Drake’s song while making a heart sign and riding motions at a specific points in the lyrics. Thanks to Fortnite’s True Love and Smooth Ride emotes, the ingredients for the challenge were always there. The ATK also makes an appearance, adding to the recent takes on the meme involving a car. Our guide on finding the ATK can help you out if you plan on creating your own version of the video. The challenge started when comedian Shiggy posted a video of himself dancing to Drake’s hit song ‘In My Feelings,’ it then took off and inspired all kinds of celebrities and internet personalities to perform their own versions of the dance. It is not a surprise to see the biggest game in the world in Fortnite make an appearance in popular social media trends. The dancing emotes are a major factor in the game’s success, and in creating viral videos, however not everyone is happy at their inclusion. Chance the Rapper hit out at Epic Games for including dances based off of real life hip hop artists, without paying for their rights. The dances themselves can not be monetized, but Chance wants to see them pay for the real songs to accompany the dancing. The ‘In My Feelings’ Challenge in Fortnite did not involve any dance moves inspired by Drake.

  • Something is seriously wrong with Shotgun aiming in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Something is seriously wrong with Shotgun aiming in Fortnite Chapter 2 Epic Games – FortniteWith the introduction of Fortnite Chapter 2, the game has seen its biggest overhaul to date but one simple function appears to be completely faulty. Chapter 2 of Fortnite released on October 15 and brought with it a wide array of new content. From an entirely new map, to brand new features and a slew of cosmetic items, there’s plenty for the Battle Royale community to digest. With many variants of the shotgun weapon type having been featured in the past, Chapter 2 released with just two options. The pump shotgun and the tactical shotgun, both available in all rarities from common to legendary. Yet the recent update appears to have thrown off this weapon type in a major way. The issue stems from hit-detection in the latest update. While a large majority of weapons appear to have been kept largely intact, the accuracy of shotguns has evidently taken a hit. As demonstrated throughout a recent clip, no longer do players need to have pinpoint precision in order to connect their shots with the close-ranged weaponry. Walking towards a static opponent, the clip from Twitter user ‘jvmsidxx,’ begins by demonstrating just how faulty the current hit-detection is with shotgun weapons. Aiming to the left of the enemy, with the reticle completely off the target at times, the clip highlighted how damage can still be dealt, even if you miss your shots by a significant margin. The 40 seconds clip gave time for the enemy to respawn before being picked off one last time by shotgun shells that undeniably should have missed. Read more: How to use the boat in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Such an egregious example of a horrendous, game-changing bug, the video even caught the attention of Fortnite superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. “Here is the clip,” he Tweeted in order to circulate the gameplay and hopefully bring it to the attention of Epic Games so that a fix can soon be implemented. Being able to find eliminations without properly aiming and connecting shots is obviously a huge issue for any competitive shooter, let alone Fortnite just days after the launch of Chapter 2. The latest update is one of the biggest in Fortnite history, yet the full patch notes are still yet to be unveiled. Perhaps there are more bugs under the surface similar to the shotgun hit-detection, that haven’t yet been discovered.

  • Fortnite players think they’ve found big issue with sniping in Season 7 – Dexerto

Fortnite players think they’ve found big issue with sniping in Season 7 Epic GamesAs Fortnite players have been getting to grips with all of the new Season 7 content, some have noticed a potential problem with sniping since the update. Reddit user Luuu90 has posted a video online which seems to show that the crosshairs for sniper rifles is now off-centred, following the game’s most recent v7.00 patch. The video below, which was uploaded on December 9, is an aiming demonstration which compares both the crosshairs for the rare assault rifle and the epic bolt-action sniper rifle. It shows that if a player shoots with their AR and then switches to their sniper, the sniper aim hangs over to the left – a potential bug that has been present in previous patches and then removed. Nevertheless, some people in the comments section of the video think that this is not actually a glitch, but more an intentional move from Epic Games to solve a previous problem. One comment, from money_from_88, said: “This has been in the game all year. It keeps people from quickscoping.” “More importantly, it keeps people from quick switching between 2 heavy snipers. Break the wall with the first, and kill with the second. All without having to aim,” said RedZaturn. Some other players decided to have a bit more fun with it. Redditor iafx said: “I think there is a bug in my game that affects ALL of my shots”, which is very improbable to say the least. For those that haven’t played it yet, Fortnite Season 7 is live with an all-new snow biome. New locations include Happy Hamlet, Frosty Flights and Polar Peak, while Flush Factory and Risky Reels have been scrapped in the new patch.

  • Some Android Users Are Already Playing Fortnite on Android Thanks To Leaked APK – Dexerto

Some Android Users Are Already Playing Fortnite on Android Thanks To Leaked APK An APK for Fortnite on Android has been leaked, allowing some players to play the game on their Android devices before it has officially released. Fortnite on Android has been a much anticipated launch, following the popular battle royale game’s release on iOS devices earlier in 2018. Epic Games confirmed that it would be coming to Android ‘this summer’, but then it all went a bit quiet, leaving Android users scrambling for any info they could on when they might get their hands on it. This long waiting time has perhaps lead to some impatience, and thus users are using an APK to download Android Fortnite before it’s release. Posted on a ‘FortniteLeaks’ sub reddit page, users on a variety of Samsung Galaxy phones have been able to download Fortnite onto their device, and then play by joining the lobby of a player on another platform. Because there are no Android servers yet, this is the only way for Android players to get into a live game currently. An APK (Android Package Kit) file is essentially an installation file used on Android phones to install apps, and leaked versions of unreleased apps are common, but not always safe. Pirated and stolen versions of apps are often released via APK’s. 600The first gameplay of Fortnite on Android surfaced recently, but it is expected to be released as a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 exclusive when it first launches, for 30 days. It is expected that as a pre-order bonus for the new phone, you will receive 15,000 V-Bucks, and possibly even the recently leaked ‘Galaxy’ skin, which many believe will also be exclusive to Note 9 users. Once Fortnite Mobile does launch on Android, it will not be available through the Google Play store, as Epic have announced that the game will be distributing to users via its own installer.

  • Snow is coming to Fortnite for the winter season, according to new leaks – Dexerto

Snow is coming to Fortnite for the winter season, according to new leaks New leaks have surfaced online that point to snow coming to the map of Fortnite Battle Royale for the winter season. Fortnite news and leaks outlet FNBRLeaks have posted screenshots of several game files containing direct evidence that there will be interactive snowy terrain at least in a certain part of the map. There are sound files for the sound of footsteps on snow for a variety of different types of movement, including walking, sprinting, crouch walking, crouch sprinting, landing hard, and more. The two screenshots can be viewed below, the first showing the Character Footstep sounds and the second image containing other snow sound files that have been highlighted. For those that may be wondering, these sound files have been double checked and confirmed to not be the same footsteps heard at Viking Village, which contains some snow. Below are the exported sound files that the Athena Footstep Sound files call. I made sure to check and these sounds are NOT the same as the Snow Sounds at Viking Village. So, this can conclude the fact that we will most likely see a snow map during Christmas! [2/2] pic.twitter.com/lZPAFLNTSJ — Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks (@FNBRLeaks) November 22, 2018 The leaks add more fuel to the already heavy fires of speculation that Epic Games have something big planned for the upcoming winter season in Fortnite, which many have predicted will include snowy terrain. The storm cloud that has appeared on the horizon in-game has also further reinforced these theories, especially if the cloud starts moving closer towards the mainland in the coming days and weeks. While everyone waits to see what Epic have in store, we’ve come up with five items we would love to see added to the game, which we think will make the winter season that much more interesting.

  • Soaring 50’s LTM Has Been Re-enabled in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Soaring 50’s LTM Has Been Re-enabled in Fortnite Battle Royale The fan favorite limited time mode (LTM) ‘Soaring 50’s’ is back in Fortnite, and there’s a chance it could be played in Solo/Duo/Squads too. First added back in August, with the v5.21 update, Soaring 50’s puts a new spin on the traditional 50v50 mode, by having gliders be usable throughout the match. Typically, gliders are only available when initially jumping from the bus, or when using rifts, bounce pads etc. More: Fortnite Mobile Players Have Figured Out a Way to Predict the Path and Final Location of the Cube – But Soaring 50’s allows you to get your glider out and soar over the map at almost all opportunities, even from basic jumps or high falls. Whenever a player is ten meters above the ground, the glider prompt will be available. Additionally, there is an abundance of Bounce Pads, Launch Pads and Impulse Grenades, all spawning more often than normal. And if you are one of those Fortnite players who love to check their stats after every game, do not fear, as the Soaring 50’s mode doesn’t track your kill/death ratio or wins and losses like standard modes. Streamer and YouTuber ONE_shot_GURL made the suggestion in reply to the Soaring 50’s announcement, and Mustard responded with a cryptic ‘thinking’ emoji – so they are at least considering it.

  • Sneaky Snowman officially heading to Fortnite – Dexerto

Sneaky Snowman officially heading to Fortnite Epic Games has revealed that a ‘Sneaky Snowman’ item will soon arrive in Fortnite, giving players another way to disguise themselves in Battle Royale. The inclusion of the upcoming item on the game’s news feed confirms previously leaked information, as data miners came across files for the snowman on January 16. With so much snow on the Fortnite map at the moment, players will be able to take up a new form that allows them to blend in with their surroundings. Presumably, this new arrival will work in a very similar way to bush – where players wait a few seconds to attach it and then their character looks pretty different just a few moments later. The bush item is not being used as much as the developer would like in the current meta of Fortnite, however, this could be another way of encouraging the use of hiding methods. The in-game description for the Sneaky Snowman states players can “become a master of disguise”. While information is quite scarce on the item so far, we can expect to get a clearer picture about how it will work in the next set of patch notes. Sneaky Snowman falls in line with a number of other changes to Fortnite in Season 7, which has been heavily shaped by the addition of the snow biome on December 6 and more recently, with the arrival of Snowfall challenges and the Ice Storm event. Will it be released with the next content update?

  • Sneaky Fortnite veterans are schooling players with OG map tricks – Dexerto

Sneaky Fortnite veterans are schooling players with OG map tricks Epic GamesFortnite OG’s are feeling at home with the return of Fortnite’s original map and they’re already making fools of the competition by using classic tricks. The much-loved OG map is back in Fortnite and with it millions of players have returned to the game. Crafty veterans are dropping back into the game for the first time in a while as even Epic Games has revealed that they’ve been “blown away” by the response. With the return of Fortnite OG, the game has just experienced “the biggest day in Fortnite’s history,” with more than 44.7 million players jumping on and playing for 102 million hours in a single day. It’s an incredible feat for the ever-popular game as both new and old players battle it out in the game’s original map. Some old-timers, however, are having too much fun with the game as they’re sharing clips of them schooling newbies with masterful hide-and-seek tricks on the OG map. One player took to Reddit to share their clip of them fooling another player simply by hiding in the top of a tree. Kitted out in an outfit that blends in perfectly, the player crouches and remains completely unnoticed as the unsuspecting opponent just cruises past them. Just as the “clueless” player starts to move on, the veteran emerges and delivers a hilarious surprise attack on the opponent. The player, surely confused by now, returns to the area to search the nearby building once more. After realizing that there’s no one in sight, they head to the top of the building where the crafty player is awaiting them at the top of the tree, ready to send them packing. And it’s not just tree-top ambushes that are making a comeback as Fortnite players are seemingly on both ends of the “old meme strats.” Among the most iconic of these strategies is the bush disguise — a simple but effective trick that allows a player to remain hidden inside a bush that’s fooling everyone. “I feel for the other guy [in the clip],” one player wrote. “I was killed in Tomato Temple today by someone hiding as a bush. Way back when that wouldn’t have got me, but it’s been so long I’m surprised I fell for it.” As another player shared, “People also don’t check bushes anymore its hilarious.” It seems that the OG Fortnite has brought back more than just a map — it’s also revived some of the most creative and hilarious tactics from over the years as well.

  • Small YouTuber makes over $25K as fans use wrong FaZe Sway creator code – Dexerto

Small YouTuber makes over $25K as fans use wrong FaZe Sway creator code Fortnite YouTuber, ‘Sway’, has earned over $26,000 from Epic Games’ creator code program, as fans trying to support FaZe Clan’s Sway appear to have continually used an incorrect code. Epic’s ‘Support-a-Creator’ scheme allows content creators to earn money when their fanbase use their unique ‘creator code’ in the Epic Games store. When players choose to support a specific creator by entering their tag or code in the store, Epic Games give an equivalent of $5 USD for every 10,000 V-Bucks spent in-game to the player’s elected creator. The process of obtaining a code is relatively straightforward, meaning that anyone with an Epic Games account and an associated channel that produces content and meets the criteria can qualify. However, given the lack of a ‘verification process’, fans often confuse creator codes and use incorrect tags which leaves others benefiting while the intended creator is left without a dime. Such is the case for Fortnite Youtuber, Sway. Having amassed just shy of 3,600 subscribers (at the time of writing), the content creator acquired the creator code “Sway” before FaZe Clan’s Sway rise to fame — who currently uses code “YoSway”. Sway’s earnings from the creator code were revealed in a YouTube video from The Fortnite Guy, with a sharp increase when the other Sway joined FaZe. Since securing the “Sway” tag, the YouTuber has reaped the rewards, having reportedly earned over $26,000 USD to-date. It’s worth noting that there has been no foul play here, in regards to the use of this tag; the YouTuber simply managed to stumble upon the creator code before FaZe Sway, which (by a stroke of luck) has yielded a sizable financial gain. However, there are more kinks to the story than initially meets the eye. A fellow Fortnite content creator who goes by the alias ‘OrangeGuy’, attempted to obtain an Epic Games creator code, but to no avail. Enter Sway (not to be confused with FaZe Sway). At the time, the pair were friends, so naturally, the YouTuber offered to help OrangeGuy by reportedly requesting a code on his behalf. Successful in his attempt, Sway allegedly profited from OrangeGuy’s code without sharing any of the gains. Keen to defend his standpoint, Sway appeared in a video posted by The Fortnite Guy, where he is quizzed on how the events unfolded. Of course, the story is subject to interpretation and with both creators arguments unable to be verified at this time.

  • Slurp Juice to Receive Significant Improvements in the Next Fortnite Update – Dexerto

Slurp Juice to Receive Significant Improvements in the Next Fortnite Update Epic Games employees have confirmed that Slurp Juice will be getting buffed in Fortnite Battle Royale as part of the V5.10 update. The confirmation comes after a /r/FortniteBR subreddit user suggested that all the Slurp Juice’s bonus should go towards healing if you have full shield and vice versa if you have full health. The user, HalfHealth, gives an example where a player with 80 health and 0 shield will have 100 health and 30 shield after using a Slurp Juice. It didn’t take long for Epic Games employees to respond to HalfHealth. Jshredz was quick to say “hey, that’s a neat idea…”, immediately catching the attention of the community. EpicEricSW, also known as Fortnite’s design lead, Eric Williamson, then jumped into the conversation; replying to Jshredz’s comment with the confirmation that a significant Slurp Juice buff is coming in the V5.10 patch: So, after Fortnite’s next update, Slurp Juice will give a total of 75 points of healing (two points per second) and prioritize health first. Once you have full health, the Slurp Juice will start working on your shield. The current iteration of Slurp Juice gives players one health and one shield per second for a total of 25 seconds. The 5.10 update is expected to be released this week, probably at some point on Tuesday, July 24. It is likely that the all-new Compact SMG, available in Epic and Legendary variants, will also be added to the game as part of the patch.

  • Slipstreams already causing problems in Fortnite Season 9 – Dexerto

Slipstreams already causing problems in Fortnite Season 9 Epic GamesEpic Games have announced that they have run tests on Slipstreams in Fortnite Battle Royale, suggesting that there might be an issue with the new feature already. The new transport feature was added to the battle royale game on May 9 with the v9.00 patch, allowing players to move easily between different point of interest, such as Loot Lake, Mega Mall, the new NEO Tilted Towers, among others. For those that haven’t seen them already, Slipstreams are tunnel systems that use pneumatic air currents to carry players from one place to another. While that does sound exciting, Epic Games had to introduce a hotfix on May 10 – just two days after their introduction – for testing. The test is completed and we’ve increased the Slipstreams back to their normal speed. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 10, 2019 Slipstreams nerfed in Fortnite Battle Royale During these tests, the developer decreased the speed of travel from within the air tunnels, in order to track their performance. What exactly it was carried out for, however, is yet to be revealed. “The test is completed and we’ve increased the Slipstreams back to their normal speed,” Epic Games tweeted from the game’s official account, just an hour after announcing the testing was taking place. While this might have been a minor inconvenience to Fortnite Battle Royale players, most will appreciate Epic monitoring their latest addition closely to prevent bugs and other issues from occurring. Slipstreams are just the latest travel feature to be added to the map, with ziplines, pirate cannons, and volcano vents making their way into the game in recent seasons. Whether or not Slipstreams will need as much work as the ziplines, for example, remains to be seen, but the developer does seem to be monitoring the performance of their newest addition. Players can expect further changes and testing in the future to prevent Slipstream bugs from causing issues.

  • Slurp Juice Has Been Temporarily Disabled in Fortnite – Glitch Details and Video – Dexerto

Slurp Juice Has Been Temporarily Disabled in Fortnite – Glitch Details and Video The Slurp Juice health potion has been temporarily disabled in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Epic Games announced that an issue with it had been discovered and developers are currently investigating the cause and working towards finding a fix. The announcement was posted on Twitter at 12:13 PM PT / 3:13 PM ET, close to 12 hours after the release of the extensive v5.1.0 Update. Due to an issue discovered with Slurp Juice, we’ve temporarily disabled it as we investigate the cause and work towards a fix. Due to an issue discovered with Slurp Juice, we’ve temporarily disabled it as we investigate the cause and work towards a fix. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) July 24, 2018 The Slurp Juice is one of the items that has been fundamentally changed as part of the update. Its total effect has been increased to 75 health points, one per 0.5 seconds. Furthermore, once a player’s health is full, the remaining points are then granted as shield. The reason why the Slurp Juice has been disabled is because there was a glitch that allowed players to benefit from the healing but still have the item in their inventory. This was achieved by simply cancelling the animation of consuming the Juice before it had fully finished, and thus essentially allowing players to have max health and unlimited shield and health boosts all the time. An example of the glitch in action can be seen below, in a video provided by news and leaks outlet ‘Fortnite Insider.‘

Slacke’s trio wins Fortnite Ninja Battles Week 6: final placements Epic Games[jwplayer so0eN9Pk]The sixth and final week of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’s very own tournament has just wrapped up and we’ve got you covered with a full recap of the Fortnite Ninja Battles action. What originally started back in May has finally come to an end. Ninja’s Fortnite competition was supposed to span just six weeks. However, due to various delays, the event has only just reached the finish line on October 6. Each and every week saw the biggest names and the best players in North America going head to head for their share of $80,000. The final week was no different as everyone from Clix to Bugha showed up and competed in five consecutive matches. It was an intense end to the action as only one trio could walk away as the final winners in Ninja’s own event. Players had five games to put up the most kills possible, all while reaching the latter stages of the rounds and pushing for overall wins. Ninja himself competed this time around, though he didn’t fare all too well with his teammates Ronaldo and Paper. Together they finished in the 27th spot as veteran competitors and former winners shot well ahead of their final score. Only the Top 12 made it into the money at the end of the day. Many of the biggest names from benjyfishy to previous winner Arkhram couldn’t quite make the cut this time. A number of up and coming pros made a name for themselves while a few familiar faces helped lead the charge. Ultimately, it was the trio of Acorn, Jahq, and Slackes that took out a commanding win in Week 6. They didn’t just finish in the top spot, they did it convincingly with an 18 point lead over second. • Skull Trooper skin is finally back in Fortnite and you can now customize it – Dexerto

Skull Trooper skin is finally back in Fortnite and you can now customize it Image Credit: EA SportsThe anticipated ‘Skull Trooper’ skins is back in Fortnite Battle Royale, just in time for Halloween, but they are not the same as their namesakes from last year. After Halloween 2017 passed, the Skull and Ghoul Trooper skins were never made available in Fortnite again, making them extremely rare and desirable. Some players would even buy other accounts with the skins purchased, just so they could have them, which isn’t something developer Epic Games supported. It was thought that in an effort to curb these account sales, Epic would simply bring back the Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper, instantly lowering their rarity and desirability. Leaked skins and cosmetics found in the Fortnite V6.02 files continue the Halloween theme – First footage of new Quad Launcher in Fortnite Battle Royale – But, they never did, until we reach October 2018 and Epic begins adding Halloween decorations to the map and fans were convinced that the two skins would be made available to purchase soon. • Skydive through floating rings for Fortnite Week 7, Season 6 challenge – Dexerto

Skydive through floating rings for Fortnite Week 7, Season 6 challenge The week 7 challenges are upon us for Season 6 of Fortnite Battle Royale, and an old favorite makes an appearance once again, tasking you with Skydiving through floating rings, twenty of them to be exact. Unlike some challenges, you don’t need to complete this challenge in a single match, which is good, because you almost certainly wouldn’t be able to. As any Fortnite player will know, you enter the map through the battle bus, and then immediately skydive towards the island map, ready to take the victory royale. This challenge aims to spruce up the receptiveness of this skydiving by adding something extra to think about, with floating rings dotted around the sky. There are two types of rings, purple and blue. These colors show how high or low the rings are in the sky, which will allow you to see at a glance what to aim for to head through two in a single dive. Purple rings are higher, while the blue rings are lower – and low enough that you should be able to guide your way to a blue one after hitting a purple one. New Fortnite emote concept would allow players to proximity chat in-gameEarlier iterations of this challenge sometimes had issues where diving through a ring didn’t immediately register. Although this bug was later resolved, you still want to make sure your dive counted. Check out the full list of challenges for Week 7 here, along with tips for completing every one.

  • Is skill-based matchmaking coming to Fortnite? – Dexerto

Is skill-based matchmaking coming to Fortnite? Epic Games could be set to introduce a skill-based matchmaking system to Fortnite in Season 8. Many players have noticed a considerable increase in player skill following the release of the new season leading to suggestions that Fortnite may have secretly implemented a system to match players based on their skill level. Back in January, Counter Logic Gaming’s ‘Wish’ posted on Twitter that skill-based matchmaking had been added to the game with every solo game ‘ending like a scrim’. Despite the claims, there has been no announcement from Epic Games and nothing in the patch notes to suggest that matchmaking has been altered – popular Twitch streamer Ninja feels that players are simply improving hence the increase in competition. Nevertheless, Epic could be set to implement the feature in the future with users receiving surveys to gauge their opinion on the matter. Epic asked whether they feel the matches should separate new and experienced players when joining games in Fortnite: If the response is positive from the player base, a skill-based matchmaking system may be added before the end of the current season. Skill-based matchmaking is a feature that seems to divide players. Indeed, it’s extremely difficult for new players to gain a foothold in a game which is dominated by users who has mastered the art of building. However, matching players based on skill could cause massive queue times which is an issue that has plagued pop-up cups since they were introduced back in November 2018. There could also be an issue with ‘smurfing’ if Fortnite did decide to implement the system – high skilled players could simply make new accounts in order to be matched with users well below their level. Adding a separate ranked mode for those who want to compete in the game at the highest level seems like an ideal solution, however, Epic have so far been unwilling to adhere to the demands of many pro players.

  • Sirens have started in Fortnite – what it means for The End & Season 11 – Dexerto

Sirens have started in Fortnite – what it means for The End & Season 11 Synergy Broadbeach / Epic GamesThe Fortnite Battle Royale map is now being drowned with the loud noise of sirens, which have begun to sound ahead of the highly anticipated ‘The End’ event and the launch of Season 11. With Season 11 now just around the corner, things have begun to happen on the Fortnite map that are setting up for the end of Season X. According to an overwhelming amount of leaks and rumors, the transition between the two seasons will be marked with an in-game event called The End. The latest clue towards this mysterious event are loud warning sirens that started blaring on October 10, three days before the new season is scheduled to go live. These sirens are concentrated in the area surrounding Dusty Depot, and can be heard when looking directly a the massive rocket launch pad that’s being built atop one of the warehouse buildings. Sirens Already Started :flushed:pic.twitter.com/iztw13bI9Y — HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks & News :jack_o_lantern: (@HYPEX) October 10, 2019 What does this mean for The End and Season 11? The emergence of these sirens is a clear indication that the rocket on top of Dusty is primed to launch soon, especially considering how similar they sound to the rocket launch that occurred back in Season 4. While the role of the rocket in The End won’t be known until the event actually begins, it will likely have something to do with the map, since most of the leaks and season-ending hypotheses come to the general conclusion that the map will be changed from its current state. Read More: Fortnitemares 2019 skins leaked – Some theorize that the map will be overhauled, with numerous new locations added in replacing current ones. Others believe that the map will be completely destroyed, hence the name of the event, and will be replaced with a brand new one for Season 11. Either way, the transition between the two seasons is expected to be a big one, and there is a very good chance that, come Season 11, the map will look a lot different that what everyone’s been accustomed to seeing in Fortnite. Despite these alarms, the floating countdown at Dusty, and the multitude of leaks, The End event hasn’t actually been directly confirmed in Fortnite. That said, Donald Mustard, the Worldwide Creative Director at Epic Games, put out some cryptic tweets on October 10, which turned out to be the transcriptions for the voice recordings left by the mysterious Scientist throughout the map. The final recording actually made reference to the event’s name: “If they are correct, it will be the end.” And while that may not be a confirmation, it’s probably more than enough evidence that the data-miners got the name right, at the very least. ‘Activate the beacon at precisely the moment this timer reaches nothing. The Zero Point must be contained once more. If They are correct, it will be the end.’ – The Scientist — Donald Mustard (@DonaldMustard) October 10, 2019 Epic Games have confirmed that Season 11 will kick off sometime between October 13 and 14, which is when Season 10 is scheduled to wrap up. • Six things Epic Games should never have added to Fortnite – Dexerto

Six things Epic Games should never have added to Fortnite Graphics: Epic GamesDrastic changes have been made to Fortnite Battle Royale throughout the course of Season 10 and that’s been a continuing trend for this game, but let’s take a look at six things that should never have been added. The game’s landmark tenth season has been somewhat marred by criticism from members of the game’s online community, particularly surrounding the introduction of BRUTE Mech suits, but people can’t help but feel that they’ve seen it all before in some ways. While many fans will have enjoyed seeing fresh content added throughout this season already, including the exciting Borderlands 3 and Batman crossover events, there’s no doubt that they have also enjoyed seeing the back of some features since the game was released in September 2017. So, let’s take a look at some of the things that should never have found their way into the battle royale mode. The Infinity Blade Right, let’s get this one out of the way quickly. It could be argued that there’s never been a more polarizing weapon to enter Battle Royale than the Infinity Blade. The sword, which was added to Fortnite in December 2018’s v7.01 update, encouraged players to use the close combat weapon instead of other guns by increasing the HP and shield of whoever held the Infinity Blade by 200 – which would replenish each time an elimination was recorded. Therefore, if a good player was to get ahold of it, it would be very difficult to stop them – especially considering the huge leap they would adopt when carrying it as well. For all intent and purposes it was a disaster to add this type of weapon to the game mode. X-4 Stormwing planes Not everybody will agree with this and we can understand why – many people enjoyed playing with this feature. After countless nerfs to planes and complaints from players stacking up during Season 7, it made sense for Epic Games to make the decision to remove them in Season 8. They weren’t just circling over our heads in Fortnite since the v7.00 patch, though, they were shooting players down and crashing into their buildings – most of the time with very little damage being dealt to neither the vehicle, pilot or passengers. For an extended period of time, X-4 Stormwings were too strong and by the time the developer made the necessary changes, the game’s community were sick of the sight of them. On reflection, they probably weren’t worth adding in the first place. Shadow Stones This piece of equipment lasted just season, as they were added at the beginning of Season 6 and scrapped by the v7.00 update after countless bugs. Shadow Stones were only intended to give a player temporary invisibility, although issues hampered this item dramatically as some players found ways of disappearing from the eyes of their opponents for the entire game. The idea itself was good, but the way it was rolled out and the bugs involved just made the addition of Shadow Stones a tremendous disaster. BRUTE Mech suits The BRUTE Mech suits have been strongly defended by Epic Games during Season 10, having faced stern criticisms from members of the game’s competitive and streaming community – many of which have tried out other titles since these were added. The powerful Mechs were added, in the view of the developers, to give people that are new to the game just as much chance of winning in the battle royale mode as slightly more experienced players. In a statement, released on August 15, Epic Games stated: “We have seen players who had previously struggled with getting eliminations acquiring more, while the number of eliminations earned by more experienced players remained steady.” While that much is true and they had the statistics to back it up, being destroyed by one of these huge vehicles – which can fit two people inside, one shooting and the other controlling movement – is something that people haven’t really warmed to. No matter what side of the debate you’re on, for the Mech or against it, this has been one of the most controversial features added to the game. Some can’t wait to see it go. Guided Missile Anybody who played Fortnite when the Guided Missile was active knows what we’re talking about. This weapon was perhaps the most overpowered thing on the game, allowing you to be anywhere on the map and call in an almost Call of Duty-style airstrike on opponents. Thankfully, it was vaulted in November 2018 with patch 6.21 and long may it stay that way. Other more practical explosive weapons still exist in the game, though, including the Grenade Launcher and Rocket Launcher. Hopefully, we never see this thing return. The Block Let’s hope you don’t hold too much deep-seated pain here, but the day that The Block is completely removed from Fortnite will be remembered long in the memory of many gamers. It initially replaced popular destination Risky Reels, before its return to the game in one of the major map changes of Season 8. This location might be respected by some fans as a place where they’re able to celebrate community creations, and that’s understandable. It’s a nice idea. However, there’s no continuity about this ever-changing location. One minute a good design comes around and you start dropping there – a week later it’s gone. Whether you’re a top Fortnite player or just a casual fan, it’s nice to find consistent drop points that work for you or your squad. At the moment, it’s just taking up space on an already crowded map and that area could be used for something much better. So, that concludes our list of worst things to be added. While every fan will have their own opinions on different features, there’s no doubt that each of these kicked up a fuss.

  • Simple Fortnite trick makes defeating Emma Frost boss a walk in the park – Dexerto

Simple Fortnite trick makes defeating Emma Frost boss a walk in the park Epic Games / Screenshot captured by DexertoIf you’re struggling to fight Emma Frost in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, make sure you familiarize yourself with this particular mechanic. By now, it’s no secret that getting Medallions in Fortnite can help boost your chances of securing a Victory Royale. The thing is… the process isn’t always easy. Making your way to fight a boss with the Medallion you want is only half the battle. Once there, you’ll need to deal with their minions while they chip away at your health. Let’s not forget that there’s always a chance you get jumped by other players waiting for you to heal up. That said, out of all the bosses, Emma Frost has a particular mechanic that many players may not be aware of. As shared in a Reddit thread, one user pointed out that while in Crystal Form, Emma is “not entirely invincible.” If you shoot at a small red dot that appears on her character model, you’ll be able to deal critical damage and force her out of Crystal Form. In the clip they shared, the boss was even seen stunned briefly after the player shot the red dot. “She does leave Diamond Form without attacking me after about 10 seconds. That’s how I fought her the first time. I assumed it was similar to TF2’s Übercharge. But I noticed the weak point on the second encounter,” the user explained in the comments. This is something that can easily be missed, especially if you’re not the type of player to grab Medallions or go after bosses. Nonetheless, it’s useful to know that it can save you time defeating her and lessen the chance of others eliminating you in the process. This discovery has left some players surprised and others suggesting different ways to take her down quickly. Though a portion of the players claimed that they’re aware of this already. “Cap’s shield just straight up ignores the diamond form and carries on whacking her every hit,” one user said, to which another replied, “Same with the rockets from War Machine’s Arsenal.” “I’ve been just standing there waiting for her to leave her diamond form on her own. Now I feel dumb, lol,” one chimed in. If you’re going after Emma Frost’s Reveal Medallion, you’ll want to come prepared with some of the best weapons. Make sure to go in with full health and shield, too, just so you don’t end up like this.

  • Simple Fortnite trick lets you hide underwater for the entire game – Dexerto

Simple Fortnite trick lets you hide underwater for the entire game Epic GamesFortnite players use every trick in the book to get ahead of their competition including harmless emotes that can apparently help save you in a tricky situation. Since the beginning, Epic Games built in diverse terrain in their battle royale to give players a whole sandbox to build and fight out of. There’s been a ton of creativity since that’s created the meta we know today. Well to throw a wrench in the works, some people are finding some brilliant stall tactics to dip out of danger when needed. Some tricks can also lend themselves to amusing, though risky, sneak attacks that can help you notch an extra kill or two. Pulling off some of these feats isn’t so hard either, as user ‘DarthBen_in_Chicago’ showed with just the help of The Worm emote and a nearby river. They shared a clip on Reddit that showed them using the turquoise Hunter Legendary outfit that does a good enough job of blending into its surroundings. While it’s not perfect, it’s also not readily noticeable in the fast-paced BR. Some were surprised that players didn’t hear the sounds emitted from the emote, even if they were well within earshot. In any case, DarthBen showed some examples of how it can be effective at getting you out of some trouble, although maybe not against bots. If you’re persistent enough, you could even try to hold out for the entire game. Just remember, out of the few hundred Fortnite players this will work on, there’s bound to be those cracked players who won’t fall for this. Even still, Fortnite has always been a game about ridiculous antics, and this one just happens to help out on both offense and defense. Note, if you don’t have The Worm emote, then players also suggested trying the Have a Seat emote. But your mileage may vary.

  • Simple Fortnite trick lets you wipe out entire squads with the Grab-Itron – Dexerto

Simple Fortnite trick lets you wipe out entire squads with the Grab-Itron Epic GamesFortnite now has its own ‘gravity gun’ known as the Grab-Itron, and it’s already causing chaos across the Island by giving players the ability to wipe out entire squads. The most recent Fortnite update, v17.30, focused on setting the game up for the fast-approaching Ariana Grande concert. But it also added a few cool features, including a brand new weapon called the Grab-Itron. This ‘gravity gun’ style weapon, which can lift objects off the ground to be catapulted at enemies, was first shown off in the Season 7 trailer, so dedicated fans have been waiting for it to arrive for quite some time. Now it’s finally here, and it’s already being called OP by some players. Why? Well, the Grab-Itron deals damage based on how big the item you throw is, and how fast you throw it, meaning it can be pretty deadly. The Grab-Itron’s power was perhaps shown off best in a video from Reddit user GAMERtheGHOST, which was shared to the Fortnite subreddit with the description, “The Grab-Itron in a nutshell.” The clip shows them levitating a car with the Grab-Itron before launching it at three opponents. All three of them are eliminated instantly, and GAMERtheGHOST even added some satisfying bowling sound effects. “Welp, off to win a match using only cars,” wrote one player in the comments, while another added, “Damn that looks broken.” An Epic employee even responded to the post, simply writing: “Lol. This is awesome.” Shortly after the weapon went live, the official Fortnite Status account tweeted that they were temporarily disabling the ability to pick up vehicles with the Grab-Itron, although they didn’t provide a reason why. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for that feature to return, so now you can go back to wiping out squads with flying cars to your heart’s content. If you’re able to find a Grab-Itron, that is – seems like they’re pretty rare.

  • Simple Fortnite trick is a perfect way to stop cheaters – Dexerto

Simple Fortnite trick is a perfect way to stop cheaters Epic GamesWhile cheating may not be as rampant in Fortnite as other battle royale titles, there are still times where certain players ruin the game for others. However, one Fortnite player wasn’t going to go down without a fight. Like most competitive battle royale games, Fortnite is occasionally ruined by those that exploit the game to get an unfair advantage. One of the most common offenders in Fortnite’s solo mode is teaming – a method that sees players colluding with their enemy to gain an advantage. While teaming may not be as abhorrent as wallhacks and aimbot, it still greatly impacts the balance of the game. After all, fighting two opponents in a solo lobby can prove extremely tricky for even the best players. Well, one crafty Fortnite fan found the perfect way to eliminate two cheaters in the final round without ever being spotted. After securing a place within the final three, Plixelz quickly found that the last two players were teaming up with one another. The cheating duo was clearly agitated as they desperately scoured the circle for any signs of life. Fortunately, Plixelz had driven into the circle just before the duo’s arrival. Instead of getting out of the car, the crafty Fortnite player simply waited for the perfect opportunity to pounce. Once both cheaters passed his vehicle, Plixelz quickly hopped out of the vehicle and launched a well-aimed rocket towards one of the players. After instantly eliminating one of his opponents, he proceeded to enter the vehicle once again. The surviving cheater was still completely oblivious to where Plixelz was hiding, making the outcome even more comical. Read More: What’s in August’s Fortnite Crew Pack? – Instead of taking cover, the remaining cheater runs back over to his fallen squadmate’s location, which instantly sees them on the receiving end of another explosive blast. Plixelz instantly secured a well-earned Victory Royale, proving that even cheaters can be outplayed if you’re willing to get creative.

  • Simple Fortnite trick lets the UFO Mothership revive you – Dexerto

Simple Fortnite trick lets the UFO Mothership revive you Epic GamesUFOs have been causing havoc ever since they arrived at the start of Fortnite Season 7, but a simple trick discovered by one player has shown that you can actually be revived with their help. Epic Games introduced a bunch of new extraterrestrial features at the start of the latest Invasion-themed season, including powerful IO Tech weapons, several reimagined locations, and even alien parasites that drain health but also offer buffs. Now, the giant UFO known as the Mothership that’s been ominously floating above the Island has opened its doors. If they abduct you, you’ll get to take part in a mini-game to earn high-tier loot, but there’s also another helpful feature they provide. Mothership can revive knocked down Fortnite players In a thread on the Fortnite subreddit, user MattDraws shared a clip of a recent Duos match where he was knocked down by another player and about to run out of health. But instead of the inevitable elimination, he found himself being taken by an Abductor. These larger UFOs – which cannot be driven by players – started appearing across the map in the recent v17.10 update, and act as vessels to abduct players onto the giant Mothership that floats above the Island. When MattDraws arrived on the Mothership, he was revived and able to get back into the game, narrowly avoiding being eliminated – and also being given the advantage of being able to earn some powerful weapons in the Mothership mini-game. Other Fortnite players have shared their similar experiences with the Mothership to prove that this does actually happen, with one commenting, “Someone downed me in duos today and out of nowhere I got abducted and was like no f**king way.” Another wrote: “I was playing duos and I got downed by a guy whose partner I killed when he hit me with a car. Right as he was trying to go for the finish I got abducted and it blew my mind because I didn’t die once I made it onboard the Mothership.” Of course, it’s not always possible to predict when you’ll be abducted by the Mothership, but you can definitely increase your chances of this life-saving revival happening to you by remaining in a location that has an Abductor floating above it. We’ve got a handy guide to being abducted by the Mothership right here, and you can find more news, guides, and leaks by visiting our Fortnite home page.

  • Simple exploit in Fortnite gives you First Shot Accuracy with every shot – Dexerto

Simple exploit in Fortnite gives you First Shot Accuracy with every shot There’s nothing more frustrating that losing a gunfight due to the random bloom effects in Fortnite, but this recently discovered bug will allow you to retain First Shot Accuracy with every shot. If unaware, First Shot Accuracy (FSA), is a mechanic implemented in Fortnite earlier in 2018, which essentially makes your first shot 100% accurate, provided that you are not moving. No matter what, the first shot you fire from certain weapons will go completely straight, with no bloom effects at all, but every subsequent shot is subject to the random bloom effect which will send your shot anywhere within the crosshair width. Not every weapon has FSA, but most do, including Assault Rifles, pistols and SMG’s. FSA is an extremely powerful tool when used properly, but this bug will allow players to exploit the pinpoint precision of FSA for every shot – simply by switching to the pickaxe rapidly between shots. Shared by u/PhaedrusAqil on Reddit, the video shows you exactly how to perform the exploit, and that it works with not just the Hand Cannon, but also the Assault Rifle. The trick simply requires you to switch to the pickaxe very briefly before immediately switching back to the weapon – or even another weapon. Although the video example is on PC, this trick would also presumably work on console, by simply tapping Triangle or Y quickly between shots, to switch to the pickaxe and then back again. It is unlikely that this is intentional, so Epic Games will almost certainly patch this bug in a future update, but for now, you may as well make the most of it.

  • Shroud breaks down why Fortnite isn’t “dying” following the release of Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud breaks down why Fortnite isn’t “dying” following the release of Apex Legends Fortnite’s player base has been shaken a bit since Apex Legends exploded onto the scene on February 4. But Twitch star, shroud, doesn’t think Epic Games’ battle royale is down for the count. A fan of shroud suggested that Tfue was “Fortnite’s last hope” as it seems the FaZe Clan pro has been sticking with the game in the midst of the Apex Legends hype, but shroud seemed to disagree with the notion. Shroud thinks players haven’t seen the end of Fortnite. Suggesting that, while it might not be popular right now, it’s lasting appeal could keep it alive for a lot longer. Even though Apex Legends is enjoying a streak of beating out Epic Games’ title in viewership on Twitch, shroud doesn’t think that Fortnite’s popularity is tied to the platform. “I don’t know about that one, I don’t think Fortnite’s going anywhere,” shroud said in reply to his fan. “I think Fortnite would’ve been massive, honestly, without Twitch.” (Timestamp at 0:15 for mobile viewers) Fortnite’s battle royale released on September 2017, and has since seen many competitors rise and fall almost at every turn, which could be one reason why the former pro player thinks it still has a lot to give. Fortnite has outlasted numerous competitors from both sides of the battle royale competitive spectrum, such as the campy Realm Royale to the intense Black Ops 4: Blackout. Still, with Apex Legends seemingly hitting the happy medium between the gritty style of an epic shooter with the lighthearted appeal of its unique characters, it’ll be interesting to see how Fortnite fairs in the long-term. Time will tell if Fortnite has enough in the tank to retake its top spot, but shroud believes that it will at least be a competitor for a good while.

  • Shroud wants to compete in Fortnite but explains why it might not happen – Dexerto

Shroud wants to compete in Fortnite but explains why it might not happen Popular Twitch streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has expressed interest in competing in Fortnite Battle Royale, but is not confident in that becoming a reality. While live-streaming the game, Shroud was asked by Team Liquid Fortnite pro ‘POACH’ about whether he would consider participating in the Skirmish competition series that Epic Games hosts seasonally. While Shroud’s answer revealed that he’s interested, he confessed that he doesn’t believe he’s good enough to compete against the best. “I mean I would like to but I’m just not good enough,” he said. “Maybe one day, but I’d like to see it and try it. I just don’t know if it’s a qualifier or if it’s invites. I don’t know how it works.” POACH went on to explain to Shroud that the Skirmishes feature a mix of pro players and content creators, so Shroud would not have to be elite at Fortnite to compete, since the format makes the competition “not super competitive.” Shroud’s prominence as a Twitch streamer would likely earn him an invite if he was seriously interested, although it would be unlikely to be for the currently ongoing Fall Skirmish since all of the invites have been already handed out. “So you’re saying there’s a chance for me?” Shroud said hopefully. However, later on during the stream, Shroud also admitted that Fortnite could take a backseat soon, as he plans on playing a lot of Blackout – Call of Duty’s new battle royale mode that will release as part of Black Ops 4 on October 12. He was one of the more popular streamers of Blackout during its beta week in September, and he knows that his desire to play the game will hamper any plans of grinding Fortnite.

  • Shroud reveals the Fortnite feature that he dislikes the most – Dexerto

Shroud reveals the Fortnite feature that he dislikes the most ECS / Epic GamesPopular streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has revealed that he isn’t a fan of one of Fortnite’s major elements, materials. Shroud says that, while building is great and an integral part of the game, he isn’t a fan of how players acquire the materials they need in order to do that building work. “It requires so much bullshit of farming materials to know you’re safe and secure,” stated the Canadian. “That’s where it kind of throws me off. Like, I don’t want to sit there and farm max materials. That shouldn’t be a feature.” Shroud thinks that players should start with maximum materials instead of having to acquire them. The former CS:GO pro told his audience: “Give me max materials, I can work with that,” when discussing how he would change things. While shroud isn’t a fan of the farming element of Fortnite, he says he still loves the game due to its skill gap. “What I love about this game is that if you’re good, you can outskill people. It’s awesome, I love that,” continued Grzesiek. The streamer also believes that the element of being able to “outskill” people on Fortnite isn’t present in other battle royale titles, saying: “Your skill literally carries you in Fortnite. Not like most games, in PUBG your skill doesn’t carry you. Blackout, your skill doesn’t even carry you, to be honest.” Shroud also says that he’s excited to play Blackout, which is included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and releases worldwide on Friday, October 12.

  • Shroud urges Fortnite to split controller and mouse & keyboard players – Dexerto

Shroud urges Fortnite to split controller and mouse & keyboard players Mixer: Shroud / Epic GamesPopular Mixer streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has thrown his thoughts into the mix in regards to the ever-growing aim assist debate in Fortnite. After Fortnite was initially launched, the top players all played on PC with a mouse and keyboard but, at some point, controller players started migrating from their consoles, and problems started to arise. Before long, mouse and keyboard players found that aim assist was getting too much for them, and ever since, the debate over whether aim assist or controller players should even be allowed to play against mouse & keyboard has thrived. While Shroud has discussed aim assist and its issues briefly in the past, especially as it pertains to Apex Legends and Warzone, but he rarely speaks out about Fortnite, which is really where the issue spawns from. Now, though, he’s discussed the recent changes to aim assist made in the v12.61 Fortnite patch and set his side. “It’s really simple what the issue with aim assist is,” he said during a livestream. “Every single player that is competing for money has the right to complain. They’re totally in the right to be mad.” He went on: “There’s advantages to both mouse & keyboard and controller. The fact that there’s an advantage in controller to mouse & keyboard, and the other way around, makes no sense that it’s even in place to happen to have any sort of competition for money.” “The whole point of competition is fair play. Competitive integrity. Because they both have their pros and cons, they shouldn’t exist in the same world.” Shroud goes on to say that “there’s no way anyone can argue against” what he’s said, and the idea of splitting the two inputs has been discussed plenty of times within the community. Whether or not this is something Epic ever actually implement in Fortnite is hard to say. The game has always been based around accessibility for everyone, and they’ve not made any drastic changes based on aim assist complaints, so it’s hard to tell whether they’ll do anything major now. Regardless, the debate rages on and it may never truly die until players are separated – which, ironically, is exactly what shroud thinks should happen.

  • Shroud returns to Fortnite and immediately regrets it: “This hurts my eyes” – Dexerto

Shroud returns to Fortnite and immediately regrets it: “This hurts my eyes” Twitch star Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek finally made a return to Fortnite, but was made to immediately rethink his decision after seeing his character’s field of view. Field of view (FOV) has been a much-discussed topic in Fortnite of late, with competitive players feeling that the current native resolution of ’80’ doesn’t allow them to take in all of their surrounding during intense build battles against enemies. Nevertheless, Epic believed that stretched res provided players with a significant gameplay advantage and caused outrage by implementing a ban ahead of the World Cup qualifiers, adding that a FOV slider would not be coming anytime soon. Following his return to Fortnite on June 15, the Canadian streamer was left baffled by his character’s perspective and immediately questioned whether there was a way to change it. “Everything feels zoomed in,” shroud said. “Is there a setting or something I can change? “Holy fuck, this is insane. This hurts my eyes.” In the past, shroud advised Team Liquid’s Fortnite pro Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve to suck it up and get used to native resolution, after the Liquid player claimed it hurt his eyes. The former CS:GO professional, who used native during his competitive days, added that Poach would get eventually adapt to the resolution, but he may now have more sympathy for his fellow gamer after experiencing Fortnite’s very restrictive FOV for himself. Because ur eyes got used to that ugly res. You’ll adjust ez, rdy to watch you slay in native. 😀 — Michael Grzesiek (@shroud) April 4, 2019 It is not yet confirmed whether Epic Games will rethink their decision surrounding an FOV slider ahead of the $30 million World Cup grand final which takes place in New York on July 26-28. Participants for the event are almost confirmed with just one week of qualifiers remaining to confirm who will battle it out for the largest prize pool in esport history.

  • Shroud argues popular Fortnite Zero Build Mode is no better than standard playlists – Dexerto

Shroud argues popular Fortnite Zero Build Mode is no better than standard playlists Epic Games / Twitch: ShroudAlthough he still prefers Fortnite Zero Build Mode because it’s easier to play, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek argued that it’s no better than standard playlists, which goes against the grain. Just when it looked like Fortnite was dwindling in its twilight years, Epic Games breathed some life back into it by permanently adding a new mode that completely removes the game’s trademark feature, building. It’s been a smash hit among streamers, and its popularity has even spawned a series of Twitch Rivals events with some of the biggest names in the scene. Despite that, though, shroud still thinks the standard mode is better. “I don’t think Fortnite Zero Build Mode is better than the regular mode,” he said. It’s a stark contrast to what other streamers have claimed in recent weeks, including DrDisrespect, Ninja, and SypherPK, who all spoke favorably of it. However, that’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy it. In fact, he admitted that he still prefers it over the regular mode because of the simple fact that it’s easier. “It’s easier for me to play, so I don’t care!” shroud laughed. Shroud didn’t elaborate further. However, the crux of his view is likely based on the fact that building is what made Fortnite unique. Without it, it’s simply another battle-royale game like Apex Legends and Warzone. Read More: What is ‘mantling’ in Fortnite? – Either way, Fortnite Zero Build Mode has essentially become the ‘main mode’ for a wide range of players now, and its popularity is growing by the minute. So, it seems like Epic Games struck gold when they decided to add it.

  • Shroud goes on rant detailing what Epic Games can do to fix competitive Fortnite – Dexerto

Shroud goes on rant detailing what Epic Games can do to fix competitive Fortnite Epic Games has struggled to find a balance between the casual and competitive sides of Fortnite, but Twitch streamer and former Counter-Strike pro Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek doesn’t think it’s very complicated. When Fortnite Battle Royale launched in September of 2017, the game was almost immediately met with plans on how best to turn the game into an esport. Many different methods and formats have been introduced by Epic Games, but the formula has yet to be perfected. Despite the struggles that Epic have gone through in the last year, though, shroud believes that things shouldn’t be that hard at all. “I really don’t believe making Fortnite good for esports is that hard,” shroud said during some downtime on his stream. “It’s really easy to make an esports friendly game.” He didn’t just stop there, however, as he ended the conversation by giving a word of advice to Epic on the one thing they have to do in order to improve the esports scene. “Here’s all you need to do: listen to your pro community. That’s it. That’s literally how easy it is,” concludes shroud. “That’s all you need to do. Nothing else.” This has been a discussion within the Fortnite community for quite some time, but things have heated up since the start of Season 7 on December 6 that has featured a number of controversial decisions that has left the competitive community frustrated. Read More: Fortnite Season 7, Week 3 challenges and how to complete them – Ziplines, ski lodges, doorbells and more – With 2018 winding down, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the last year to see what worked and what didn’t in order for Epic to take Fortnite to even greater heights in 2019.

  • Shroud claims one thing makes Fortnite “number one” battle royale over Apex Legends – Dexerto

Shroud claims one thing makes Fortnite “number one” battle royale over Apex Legends Respawn / Twitch: Shroud / Epic GamesShroud has made a bold battle royale claim — according to the Twitch star, there’s only one king when it comes to the genre, and it isn’t Apex Legends or Warzone. Instead, it’s Epic’s crossover-heavy game, Fortnite. The gaming world has been caught up in a battle royale storm recently, with dozens of Warzone stars defecting to Apex Legends over Call of Duty hackers. On top of that, Respawn literally just dropped their game’s latest season, which was chock-a-block full of balance changes, map updates, and a new character — “Seer” — to boot. It looks like Apex Legends has won the ongoing genre war, at least for now, with players abandoning Verdansk in droves. Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, who has been grinding Apex Legends since early 2019, claims the battle royale debate isn’t that clear-cut, however. He’s been a long-time advocate for Apex Legends, but another game has his eye. According to the retired CSGO pro, only one modern battle royale can actually stake a claim for being the actual “number one” title in the genre: Fortnite. “To me, Fortnite’s number one. It’s unique. And Apex Legends is number two. That’s if we’re talking competitive gameplay,” he said. “With Fortnite, you can build.” The issue, the Twitch star explained, is every battle royale has its matches overshadowed by “third-parties;” when a third squad joins a gunfight late. That includes genre-heavyweights like Apex Legends, Warzone, PUBG, and more. “That’s the worst aspect of any battle royale… you’re fighting, and poking, poking, then you just get railed from the side,” Shroud said. “Every battle royale has that, every single one. It’s just the nature of the genre.” Only one has ever overcome this gameplay loop — Fortnite. “It’s why Fortnite is a very, very good competitive battle royale,” the Twitch star continued. “When you win fights [in Fortnite] it really is just you and your opponents. Of course [in Apex Legends] you’re going to be ratting it up. You’re always going to ‘rat’ in those kinds of battle royales. He returned to Fortnite and its building: “It’s amazing for that, because you, the player, get out of those sticky situations. I think that’s really cool.” “I wish I was better at it,” he laughed. “Or good at all!” Related segment begins at 15:29 in Shroud’s video below. This doesn’t mean Shroud is going to shift his Twitch stream over to Fortnite and start cranking 90s on the Isle of the Storm any time soon though. The former CSGO pro has been quite vocal about his love for Apex Legends, despite what he sees as genre shortcomings in Respawn’s battle royale. The streamer said back on July 24: “My personal favorite battle royale, it’s gotta be Apex Legends. PUBG is number two. Three is Fortnite, then Warzone.”

  • Shroud explains why Fortnite pros Myth and Poach should get used to native res – Dexerto

Shroud explains why Fortnite pros Myth and Poach should get used to native res Former professional CS:GO player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has advised pro Fortnite players Poach and Myth to suck it up and get used to native resolution, after stretched res was restricted by Epic Games. With the Fortnite World Cup around the corner, pro players were dismayed to find that Epic had locked aspect ratio to 16:9 in competitive matches. Previously, Epic had also enforced native resolution, but had taken a more lax stance on this rule for the Winter Skirmish event, in what was seen as a positive step forward for the game as an esport. On April 3, though, this move was reversed, with Epic stating: “in competitive playlists (e.g. Arena mode and in-game tournaments) we will be locking the aspect ratio at 16:9.” Unsurprisingly, this move faced plenty of backlash from the competitive community, namely Team Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve and TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani. But, just as the pro Fortnite players were in meltdown, shroud shared some reassuring words. The former pro player, who used native resolution in CS:GO, suggested that it was “the way it’s meant to be played”. The way it’s meant to be played baby, I’m excited and I don’t even play. — Michael Grzesiek (@shroud) April 4, 2019 As for Poach’s concern – that it hurts his eyes to play in native resolution – shroud claims it’s just because he’s used to it, and that he can train his eyes back to being accustomed the default settings. Because ur eyes got used to that ugly res. You’ll adjust ez, rdy to watch you slay in native. 😀 — Michael Grzesiek (@shroud) April 4, 2019 Having seen shroud’s advice, Myth said he was looking forward to playing on native resolution, having heard Grzesiek’s “motivational truths”. With only a limited time to prepare for the upcoming Fortnite qualifiers and tournaments, however, some players are still concerned that it might take them too long to adjust. Shroud says it will only take two weeks to be fully comfortable with the native resolution again, but only time will tell. When is the Fortnite World Cup? Qualifiers for the $30 million Fortnite World Cup will take place April 13 to June 16, giving all players an opportunity to qualify. The top 100 Solo players and top 50 Duos will have a spot at the main event held July 26-28 in New York, but the qualification takes place in the in-game tournaments, which are of course now locked to native resolution. Shroud’s experience as a professional CS:GO player Having competed at the top level of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, mostly with Cloud9, shroud knows first hand the fine margins that decide winning and losing in esports. CS:GO couldn’t be further from Fortnite in its approach to customizing the settings however, with everything from resolution, viewmodel and crosshairs to even the size and position of HUD elements all fully customizable. However, shroud was one of the few pro CS players who stuck with 1920×1080 resolution, whereas many top players will use squat aspect ratio’s like 4:3, as opposed to 16:9. Shroud’s arm injury sees him out of action on Twitch (mostly) Fans of shroud’s incredible skill in-game are waiting on him making a full recovery at the moment, as he suffers through a nasty injury and subsequent surgery on his left arm, after a nasty scooter accident. Despite his injuries, he’s still been soldiering through and bringing his stream the content he’s known for, albeit for shorter durations and with bigger breaks – thankfully his famous aiming arm was unaffected.

  • Shroud claims Fortnite Chapter 2 makes Apex Legends look “300x better” – Dexerto

Shroud claims Fortnite Chapter 2 makes Apex Legends look “300x better” Top Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek finally tried his hand at the new Fortnite Chapter 2, but couldn’t manage more than a few hours, and said he’ll be back “next season”. A former CS:GO pro, shroud is now best known on Twitch for his love of battle royale games, namely PUBG and Apex Legends. Although he’s tried Fortnite in the past, it has never truly captivated him, perhaps because he has always had a preference for first-person shooters, over third-person. Chapter 2 of Fortnite has revitalized the game’s community. With the excitement around the Chapter 2 launch, shroud found himself tempted to try out the new season; so did his update and jumped into some matches with fellow streamers TimTheTatman, Nate Hill and Syhmfuhny on October 18. It didn’t take long before Grzesiek was reminded of the reasons he has previously stopped playing Epic’s BR game before, comparing it to Respawn’s Apex Legends. “I’m not going to lie, playing this game makes Apex look three hundred times better,” shroud said, “It really makes me appreciate Apex more, so I’m kind of glad I’m playing.” After just over three hours of playing, and without much success, shroud decided he had finally had enough. He came up against a highly skilled builder, and it became clear that despite his best efforts, he was simply no match for the experienced opponents who played the game more regularly. “I can’t play this game anymore, I’m too bad,” a defeated shroud explained, “I can’t get owned any longer, it’s too hard, I’ll play it next year, next season.” Unlike a handful of other top streamers, shroud’s viewership doesn’t expect a lot of Fortnite gameplay from him anyway, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a disappointment to most of his fans. For now, it looks as though he will be returning to Apex Legends, at least until the new Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, arrives on October 25.

  • Shroud explains why Fortnite Battle Royale has “spoiled” every other game – Dexerto

Shroud explains why Fortnite Battle Royale has “spoiled” every other game L: Epic Games. R: Shroud/Twitch.Popular Fortnite Battle Royale has ‘spoiled’ gamers who want other titles to match the standard created by Epic Games. Since taking over the Battle Royale market, Epic Games have kept their popular title fresh with regular updates and seasonal content that keeps players coming back for more each and every day. While the updates aren’t always the most popular with some fans, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional chatted with his viewers and tried to see what they wanted. While he explained that he was thinking about checking out Fortnite Season 9, he wasn’t too sure. Read More: Fortnite Season 9 v9.00 patch notes – That sparked a conversation with his viewers about how the game has dominated the market – with shroud explaining that the constant updates and unique content are what keeps fans pouring in, even if the game is a tough title to play from a competitive point of view as you don’t what’s coming next. Yet, shroud’s breakdown of the cartoonish battle royale wasn’t finished there. The former Cloud9 man explained that those changes to keep the game fresh has ‘spoiled’ fans and players alike who want the gaming industry as a whole to follow suit. He explains that players have been “spoiled”, and if it wasn’t for Epic’s builder-shooter, gamers would be enjoying other games “so much more”. He goes on to say: “this kind of game, with this kind of updates, this many things can happen on a week-to-week basis – everyone in their mind is like ‘oh shit dude, I want this game to be like that,’ but its just not possible. It’s just not.” Will anyone surpass Fortnite Battle Royale? Unless something drastic changes, Epic Games are probably going to be ahead of the battle royale curve for the foreseeable future after seeing off other games like PUBG and Apex Legends – despite those titles having their moment in the spotlight. Plenty of games pop up and try to take the mantle of the next best thing, but as shroud explained, none of them are yet to match Epic’s effort in retaining and expanding an ever-growing player base.

  • Should Super Mario style cannons replace ziplines in Fortnite? – Dexerto

Should Super Mario style cannons replace ziplines in Fortnite? After only being in the game for little over a month, one Fortnite fan has put a case forward for ziplines to be scrapped and replaced with a very different alternative. There have been calls to change or tweak ziplines ever since Epic Games added them to Fortnite on December 6 to give the Fortnite map a new feel with the beginning of Season 7. One suggestion involved the need to hold a button to connect to ziplines, which would eliminate some players from being accidentally attached to them. However, they are still in the game in pretty much the form they were added. Yet, some fans believe that instead of tweaking the ziplines, Epic should instead look at other ways of allowing players to move around the map. The mobility concept below was posted to the Fortnite subreddit by justSomeGuy0nReddit. It suggests that Super Mario-style cannons should be dotted around the map in fixed locations – much like the ziplines – which would allow players to fire themselves to other places on the map very easily. “I think we’ve all accidentally hit a zipline,” the Reddit user posted. “Something like this can get the benefits of those ziplines without the annoying parts. They could be put every where ziplines are and fire you to the locations the ziplines would’ve taken you.” It would work in the same way cannons do in Super Mario 64 and Sea of Thieves, presumably. Players would not take fall damage, so they would work similarly to the tyres we already see in the game. While the idea has gained some traction on social media, the chances of Epic Games scrapping their new feature so quickly and replacing it with a fan concept is highly unlikely. But, that doesn’t mean to say that the developer won’t explore alternatives like this in the future, as the battle royale game is changing quite rapidly at the moment.

  • Shroud defends “whining” Fortnite pros and criticizes Epic Games – Dexerto

Shroud defends “whining” Fortnite pros and criticizes Epic Games The Fortnite competitive community has come under fire recently after voicing their concerns with the state of the game, but Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek believes they have every right to complain. Why are Fortnite pros complaining about the new updates? With the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers now less than a week away, Epic Games have made a number of significant changes to the game including a ban on stretched resolution as well as confirming that reboot vans would be added to the game in v8.30. As a result, they have been criticized heavily by the majority of professional players after seemingly taking one step forward and two steps back in their attempts to improve the competitive integrity of their game. Shroud believes Fortnite pro players should be “whining” Due to their constant complaints on stream and social media, players have been criticized for being too negative. However, former CS:GO professional, shroud, believes they are doing the right thing. “Whine, whine, whine is what any pro player in any game does,” he said. “It’s for a good reason – you want to be heard.” Despite the cries from their player base, shroud feels that Epic Games simply don’t care due to the vast amount of money they are making. He added: “It [complaining] usually works, but Epic Games just doesn’t give a fuck; they’ve got so much money. “Whining is good, everyone as a pro player should be whining.” Shroud blasts Epic Games over Fortnite changes Shroud also expressed that he feels that Epic Games truly don’t care about the pro scene after releasing the controversial changes. “Fortnite making so many errors like this makes me truly believe they don’t care about the pro scene,” Grzesiek said. “They’re just half-assing it by throwing money at it and updating the game regularly for content.” He did admit that pro players should be happy with the amount of money on offer at the various tournaments though: “The pros should still be happy they’re getting so much money – you could lose and still make thousands of dollars.” Epic Games have still not responded to the various calls, from both the casual and competitive communities, to revert the changes made in the v8.20 update. Changes may already be on the way, but players will have to wait for the release of the new update next week to see what Epic have up their sleeve.

  • Should Epic Games release a ‘Pro Playlist’ in Fortnite? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 58 – Dexerto

Should Epic Games release a ‘Pro Playlist’ in Fortnite? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 58 Fortnite Battle Royale is unique in many of its aspects, one of which is the fact that the competitive “pro” scene is played on the exact same game setup as the casual scene. This is understandably been a major concern for many pro players who’ve had to deal with many items, weapons, and vehicles in the game that they consider to be unbalanced, such as the recently vaulted Infinity Blade sword and the X-4 Stormwing plane. In fact, since there are no publicly available custom servers yet, the only way pros can get practice against each other is by playing in specifically set up scrims, which involve them all queuing for public matches at the same time and on the same servers hoping to get into the same game. This issue was thoroughly discussed in Episode 58 of the renowned Fortnite Podcast by expert 2LoudTX, special guest cohost Fallout, and one of the biggest names in Fortntie esports – Ghost Gaming’s Bizzle. One of the major challenges that Epic Games has on their hands is finding a way to balance the casual, laid-back, fun gaming experience with the intense and goal-driven competitive scene, which often find themselves at odds in terms of what should added, removed, or changed in the game. One popular idea that many have come up with as a way to appease both sides is by creating Limited Time Modes for any new major item or mechanic to be introduced in first, rather than adding them into the core default modes right away. Not only does this allow Epic to test out the new items and mechanics in a separate mode and get community feedback, it also keeps the core default modes pure of anything that may cause the game to become unbalanced. As for separating the game between casual and competitive modes, that prospect seems a lot more unlikely because, as Fallout explains, there is a lot of value in Epic Games keeping both spheres parallel with each other. Epic’s own Gears of War 3 title, which Fallout played professionally, saw the competitive rule-set blend in with the casual to the point where the pros started playing the stock default version of the game with very little to no adjustments. “There’s a ton of value from a viewer’s standpoint,” he explained. “There’s also the aspiration to go from amateur to pro. As an amateur, when you’re just starting, you’re playing the exact same game and you can eventually work your way up to eventually get to that point, vs going through a learning curve and learning a new version of the game. In addition to breaking down the balance between casual and competitive Fortnite, 2Loud TX, Fallout, and Bizzle also discussed the recent Winter Royale event, Infinity Blade controversy, changes to the Stormwing plane, and more. • Shopping Carts Temporarily Disabled in Fortnite Battle Royale Due To A Bug – Dexerto

Shopping Carts Temporarily Disabled in Fortnite Battle Royale Due To A Bug Fortnite developer Epic Games announced that the shopping carts in the battle royale mode will be temporarily disabled again due to a bug. The shopping carts were a much anticipated item, and took the game by storm when they were finally released, with players coming up with new inventive ways to use the first form of vehicle in the game. They allow two players to travel on them at once, with one player pushing and another sitting atop the cart itself. And due to some wonky physics, it was possible to use the carts to propel yourself high into the air with some particular builds and movement. It was unclear at first if these uses of the cart were intentional or not, but it looks like Epic Games has identified an issue serious enough to warrant removing them completely, at least temporarily. On June 16th, the official Fortnite Twitter released little information, but simply stated that they would be disabling the carts, effective immediately. The issue is likely related to reports that players have been getting underneath the play area of the map using the carts, which is what Epic will likely be working hard to fix. Due to a bug with the Shopping Cart, we’re temporarily disabling it until we have a fix. We’ll update you once the issue is resolved. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 17, 2018 One of the most infamous use of the cart was actually to reach the spawn island while in a match, which a number of players managed to do by building large bridges with materials and then using the cart to launch across the water area. There is no time frame given for when the Shopping Carts will be added back to the game, but previous bug fixes rarely take longer than around 24 hours. The cart was previously disabled on June 11th, but quickly returned.

  • Should Epic Games add skill-based matchmaking to Fortnite? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 62 – Dexerto

Should Epic Games add skill-based matchmaking to Fortnite? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 62 Fortnite players have been clamoring for some form of competitive play to be introduced to the battle royale for some time, but the topic is still a fiercely contentious point of discord even among seasoned vets. Hosts 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace go over the ins and outs behind the logistics of a competitive system that could fit into the game in Episode 62 of the Fortnite Podcast. Introducing a ranked or skill-based matchmaking element to Fortnite is a tall task to follow through on since introducing the concept would, by default, split the community apart when queuing up for a game. Love it or hate it, Fortnite is for all intents and purposes the best battle royale on the market. But a lot of the things that make it great come from not having a ranked playlist. Too many communities across the competitive games arena feature toxic or negative player habits and tendencies because of components that come with ranked playlists. Read more: Major changes coming to Fortnite’s Streamer Mode that will further help prevent stream sniping – In games like Counter-Strike and League of Legends, the joy of playing similarly skilled players is tarnished if you have a terrible team because the player is more concerned with the negative impact it will have to their ranks. Moreover, when a player is doing exceptionally well in a ranked setting, they tend to develop a certain egotistical nature that can degrade the community even more. Epic Games has already announced that they will be introducing a Leaderboard type mechanic to their Pop-Up Cups, which is a great intro feature for the Fortnite players who are itching to prove their skills. The biggest drawback from Pop-Up Cups as they stand are their stringent hours that doesn’t give everyone a chance to participate. A great fix to this would a be a 24-hour Pop-Up Cup that would give players all the time in the day to grind Fortnite. Within those 24-hours the player would accumulate some sort of points that would lend to a skill-based matchmaking system to be paired in games with players of a similar prowess. At the end of those 24-hours, all ranks would reset. Then, at the end of the week, the Top 100 people from that week’s Pop-Up Cup get invited to a special weekend Pop-Up Cup for the very best. Listen to 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace’s in-depth discussion in the podcast below and then tweet us @Dexerto to share your thoughts on the current state of Fortnite.

  • Shopping Carts Return in Fortnite Update V.4.4.1 – Patch Notes – Dexerto

Shopping Carts Return in Fortnite Update V.4.4.1 – Patch Notes The second Fortnite update of the week dropped on Thursday, June 14th with patch V.4.4.1 rolling out to all devices. Due to the E3 gaming convention taking place in California, the regular weekly update dropped on Monday, June 11th. Despite a huge celebration of Fortnite taking place at E3, the developers behind the game continued to work all week to fix issues that were found in update V.4.4, which included disabling the Shopping Cart. Users had found following Monday’s patch that they could once again get under the map and cause havoc with the final circle placements, leading to Epic taking the transportation method offline. On the morning of Thursday, June 14th, the Shopping Carts returned to working order. The official Fortnite account Tweeted out that alongside re-enabling the transport device, Pro-Am matches were available to view in BR clients and added player reporting in StW. We just released v4.4.1, you may have to restart to download the update. What can you expect? Shopping Carts re-enabled. Pro-Am matches available to view in BR clients. Player Reporting in StW.— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 14, 2018 The second update comes just days after one of Fortnite’s biggest events, as 50 celebrities teamed up with 50 streamers to compete in their Pro-Am event held in California. Thousands of fans turned up to watch their idols battle it out in the heat of the sun, with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and EDM DJ, Marshmello, taking first place in the $3 million charity doubles game. • New Shield Bubble item coming to Fortnite in v10.20 update – Dexerto

New Shield Bubble item coming to Fortnite in v10.20 update Epic GamesFollowing a recent update that brought a nerf to the B.R.U.T.E mechs, Epic Games have updated the Fortnite MOTD to announce a brand new item — the Shield Bubble. Fortnite Season X has received three updates thus far, one patch update and two content updates that saw the addition of the Automatic Sniper Rifle and the Junk Rift, respectively. In Epic Games’ most recent message of the day (MOTD), they have hinted at the latest addition to be added to the popular battle royale. Titled the ‘Shield Bubble’, the item is followed by the caption: “This is one bubble that’s not easy to burst. Shield yourself from projectiles with this protective dome.” Given the latest addition of the B.R.U.T.E., any in-game items added are likely geared towards balancing the current in-game meta. Read more: Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite. – Perhaps the most controversial addition to Fortnite to-date, the addition of the overpowered mechs have been subject to plenty of criticism, with community backlash (including the #RemoveTheMech hashtag that trended worldwide) forcing Epic Games’ hand, leading to a nerf of the giant robots. Based off of the description given, it’d be logical to compare the Shield Bubble to Gibraltar’s Dome Shield from Fortnite’s battle royale rival, Apex Legends. The deployable Dome Shield gives players the ability to temporarily surround themselves in a dome-shaped bubble that deflects incoming projectiles from themselves and teammates; giving them short-term relief from the opposition. Should the Shield Bubble work in a similar capacity to the Dome Shield, this would tilt the meta back towards being more balanced, specifically in the end-game, where the mechs currently run riot. The details of the next patch update (v10.20) are yet to be released, although it is likely that the next update will include several bug fixes alongside the addition of this in-game item.

  • Shocking Fortnite building glitch is giving some players an unfair advantage – Dexerto

Shocking Fortnite building glitch is giving some players an unfair advantage Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale has had some crazy bugs since the game was first released in September 2017, but a new one seems to let players shoot right through solid builds. Epic Games have been made aware of a number of different glitches since the beginning of Season 8 on February 28, including bugged areas on the map that were eliminating players. However, members of the game’s online community have been discussing an issue in the game’s battle royale mode where they can shoot right through a build without any problem at all. Most Fortnite fans will know already, but building is a feature that allows players to use materials in order to protect themselves from gunfire, explosives or even to move around. Yet, a new glitch seems to render materials useless by letting weapons shoot right through them without damaging the structure – as seen with the ‘cone’ demonstration below. This video was posted to the Fortnite BR subreddit by 2Rich4Youu and shows exactly why this could be a problem, particularly in the endgame of Fortnite sessions. Simply aiming through a cone that hasn’t been fully built gives the player an opportunity to fire through the material, without damaging it. This gives the player inside the cone a potential advantage, as they’re not fully exposed but have the same ability to fire at their enemy from inside. Some redditors claim that it also works with ramps, too. It’s unknown if this issue has been spotted by Epic as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated on any potential fixes in the future.

  • Shaq welcomes Clix to NRG’s Fortnite roster with epic video – Dexerto

Shaq welcomes Clix to NRG’s Fortnite roster with epic video NRG and Epic Games[jwplayer F3fkHUJH]Clix, one of the world’s best Fortnite players, has been officially and illustriously welcomed to NRG’s roster by their advisor, investor, and NBA Hall of Famer: Shaquille O’Neal. At just 15 years old, Clix is among Fortnite’s most established stars—with five World Cup qualifications under his belt and a fanbase encompassing over 1 million followers on Twitch and 800,000 on Twitter and YouTube apiece. It was only fitting that NRG brought out the big guns, the Big Fella himself, for the welcoming party. “Excellence is not a singular stat. It’s a habit. You are what you repeatedly do. This squad stays on top. The next move…we all about to take NRG to a whole new level. Yo, Clix, welcome to the family.” Goosebumps. Absolute goosebumps. Shaq knows all about whole new levels and it shows, the legendary Diesel is a four-time NBA champion, a 15-time NBA All-Star, and a former MVP. And, of course, what NRG video would be complete without their Fortnite superster benjyfishy, who also made a cameo appearance alongside the former Lakers star. While Clix kept it lowkey on Twitter, you can be sure the young gun is ecstatic. The former Misfits player popped off on Twitch for his announcement stream, with peak concurrent viewership at a staggering 190,000. And the hype is legitimate; NRG’s Fortnite roster already consists of some cracked prodigies like benjyfishy, Zayt, and EpikWhale—so the addition of Clix truly brings this crew to new heights and cements the organization as the most reputable in the Fortnite community. The addition also helps the org accommodate one of their former Fortnite stars, Symfuhny, who has become a huge fixture in the Call of Duty: Warzone scene after choosing to grind the game instead of Fortnite over the past couple months. Having Clix join NRG was enough hype to break Twitch on its own, but that energy skyrocketed when Shaq was the one bringing him in. Following the announcement, the young star expressed how excited he was to be joining a roster with the other big names (while ignoring his tumultuous history with Unknown and expressing some…slight eagerness to join Edgey). “NRG, forever.” As Big Aristotle foresaw, such a major acquisition may ensure that one of Fortnite’s top rosters never steps down from the podium.

  • SerpentAU banned from Fortnite after cheating controversy – Dexerto

SerpentAU banned from Fortnite after cheating controversy Epic GamesAustralian Fortnite star SerpentAU has seemingly been banned by Epic Games after he responded to cheating accusations, admitting that he had used “macros.” SerpentAU received backlash from the Fortnite community in recent weeks after he was accused, by fellow YouTuber EJLad, of using ‘macros’ key bindings to cheat in the battle royale, specifically in creative mode. While he initially denied the allegations, he later admitted to cheating and apologized for his actions following criticism from stars such as Tfue, who called on him to recreate some of his insane movement clips with a hand cam. @SerpentAU recreate one of your previous videos with a full hand cam ez proof — Tfue (@Tfue) June 7, 2020 Serpent’s apology came as a surprise to many of his fans, as he was known for exposing one of his fellow pro players Kquid, who was seemingly banned after using an aimbot in the FNCS Invitational. Overtime Gaming, the esports organization that SerpentAU had been signed under, even dropped the Fortnite pro once the allegations first began to surface. However, he has now apparently been punished by Epic Games as well after claiming he was banned on Fortnite on June 17. “I just got banned on Fortnite,” he simply explained, revealing that his account has now also been affected. It is unclear whether or not the pro was detected by Epic Games’ anti-cheat or if his account was targeted, following his apology on June 14, for exploiting the game’s movement and editing mechanics. Although, after he announced that his account had been banned, some of his followers were suspicious of the lack of proof provided, claiming that he could be attempting to troll his fan base. As of now, it is unknown if the Serpent’s account has actually been hit, however, it seems quite likely to be the case, considering the circumstances.

  • Secret quest added in Fortnite Season 2, two more leaked & coming soon – Dexerto

Secret quest added in Fortnite Season 2, two more leaked & coming soon Epic GamesInternet detectives have confirmed the existence of previously leaked Fortnite Battle Royale secret quests, and it appears that one of them is already in the game while two more could be coming soon. About a week ago, popular Fortnite leaker, FireMonkey, revealed three secret quests that would be popping up on the battle royale to finish Season 2: “Stop the Battle,” “Teddies Libearated!” and “Celebrate the Truce.” “Teddies Liberated!” is reportedly already available for completion, but not much information had been available about the other two—until now. One user, niitq, has decrypted Fortnite’s code and confirmed via Twitter that “Celebrate the Truce” will be the next secret quest. Next secret Quest. “”Celebrate the truce””. pic.twitter.com/InKJbe6oSV — niitq (@niitku) April 22, 2020 Secret quests are always a fun way to earn extra XP and these seem to be no exception. We’ve already had a number of quests this season that included the game’s gnomes and bears. At the start of April, there were the “For the Bears” and “For the Gnomes” missions, which required finding hidden honey pots and telescopes, respectively. While it’s unclear how much XP will be awarded in the new secret ones, but the two mentioned above each gave players 40,000, and “Teddies Libearated!” awards players 15,000. So far, all we know about these leaked quests is that they involve the teddy bears, gnomes, and dancing. From the descriptions, FireMonkey discovered that “Stop the Battle” requires disarming the bears and gnomes—effectively forcing a truce, while “Celebrate the Truce” more jovially enlists players to “dance for the generals.” These secret objectives are likely additions that will complement the Astronomical and Midas’ Mission challenge sets, granting players more opportunities to gain the experience needed for their favorite rewards. With the first leaked quest already popping up under the radar, fans should keep their eyes out in case more information is revealed about the other two quests. Once those are discovered, explanatory guides and videos are bound to surface for players eager to level up before the season’s end.

  • Secret Fortnite trick reveals a new use for the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun – Dexerto

Secret Fortnite trick reveals a new use for the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun Epic GamesA ton of new content was added with Fortnite’s Season 5 update, and one of the new weapons has a surprising trick up its sleeve as players have only just uncovered a secret with the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun. If you haven’t yet dropped into the latest Season in Fortnite, you’re missing out on some powerful new goodies. There’s plenty of firepower to get your hands on and even more on the horizon. One of these new weapons is the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun. A deadly addition to the game’s arsenal, it comes in both Legendary and Epic rarity, packing a punch at either tier. While it can quickly knock down nearby foes, it also has a secret trick that’s only just been discovered. Rather than targeting enemies and playing for eliminations, it can help in more passive moments as well. Here’s what you need to know about the secret trick. Thanks to an engine overhaul earlier in the year, Fortnite is capable of a lot more than you might think. Obviously, we’ve seen major events take over the map, but on a smaller scale, there are some subtle interactions that you might not think possible at first glance. For instance, with the new Dragon’s Breath Shotgun, its fiery slugs can actually ignite nearby campfires. Instead of using every shot to take down opposing players, this secret tactic might just keep you alive until the endgame. One quick shot and the campfire will be roaring and healing you right up. Whether you’re playing solo or in the mix with a larger squad, everyone can benefit from this niche trick. It may not seem like the most unbelievable advantage, but it’s just one more bonus of the already strong weapon. Keep this in the back of your mind when one appears in the wild and it could just be the reason you win your next match. This surprising interaction isn’t exclusive to just this weapon either. It turns out that Firefly Jars can also start up fires nearby and Chug Splashes can put out any flames as well. It’s clear that Epic is more than willing to provide these little interactions for features in Fortnite. So be on the lookout for a bunch more that we may not know about yet.

  • Secret Fortnite update made vehicles much more deadly – Dexerto

Secret Fortnite update made vehicles much more deadly Epic GamesA secret update to Fortnite made vehicles much deadlier than before and could make them a lot more viable for teams to play around. The Fortnite v18.20 update brought a lot of major bug fixes and XP changes to quests. But, it also introduced the ability to stand on cars even while they’re in motion. That might not be the most game-breaking change ever in the battle royale, but this patch could drastically improve the viability of cars in Fortnite. Traditionally, cars in Fortnite have been huge clunky targets that give off obvious sound queues to other players. Unlike Apex Legends and Warzone, there isn’t much a car can offer in terms of offense. Fortnite car update However, the 18.20 update has given the Fortnite community a whole new way to use cars. The unlisted change made it so that people could step on top of a car or on its hood and stay fixed on the spot while moving. For squads of more than two people, this will also let everyone prop themselves on a vehicle, instead of leaving behind the unlucky few who don’t fit inside. More importantly, those who stand on top can still have their weapons drawn — which unlocks the offensive capabilities of utilizing a car like never before. This can come in handy for most cars, but the secret update really opens up the possibilities for pickup trucks. The changes to Fortnite’s cars could also have implications for reviving teammates. Warzone players already know how vehicles can contribute to a clutch getaway, and the same might be true for Epic’s battle royale too. Since Fortnite players don’t slide off cars anymore either, it’ll be interesting to see if players will start driving downed players away from fights to safely rez them elsewhere.

  • Secret Fortnite Season 2 map changes hint at upcoming Midas event – Dexerto

Secret Fortnite Season 2 map changes hint at upcoming Midas event Epic GamesFortnite is constantly evolving, and some eagle-eyed players have spotted some secret map changes that could provide some major hints about this season’s final in-game event involving one of the Battle Pass’ main characters. Fortnite Season 2 is rapidly drawing to its conclusion, with just two weeks left in the Battle Pass for challenges. As always though, it is likely that Epic Games will add a few extra weeks to allow players to rank up and earn any last-minute skins, usually rounding things out with Overtime challenges. Avid Fortnite fans will know that the season always ends with a major event though, and with Season 2 following the story of a team of spies who have taken residency at new location The Agency, it seems that one of the group’s most recognizable characters could have a fairly major part to play in the final chapter of Season 2 before things draw to a close. Midas is a legendary skin who comes with a special skill. Anything the character touches turns to gold, so any weapons you pick up while wearing the skin turn to gold, and remain that way even when you drop them for others to use, a reference to the Greek myth of King Midas who could do the same thing. Of course, that means that his chair at The Agency’s meeting table was different from the rest, as it was golden unlike the others, but an eagle-eyed Fortnite fan has noticed that the chair no longer sits in the massive building, and instead now sits inside the large blue house at Salty Springs. While many surmised that he likely moved it there himself, there’s another map change that casts doubt on this theory, as a Ghost faction poster can be found sitting outside beside a trash can, something Midas is unlikely to have done himself as one of the group’s main characters. Whether this means someone has stolen his chair and moved it there themselves, or if Midas is switching allegiances, remains to be seen, but with other map changes taking place at Crash Site and Pleasant Park, it’s clear that something is going on. Midas’s chair got moved from the agency to the big blue house in salty springs. At first I thought this was where Midas may have moved because there is a ghost document on the table, but if you look in the trash you can see a “Join Ghost” poster, interesting, definitely keep an eye on this location! from r/FortNiteBR It’s likely that we will see these map changes continue over the next few weeks, and we may even get some more hints about what is happening on the Fortnite island. When this event will kick off remains to be seen, but fans are already starting to look forward to the end of the season and what it may bring.

  • New secret Fortnite map changes tease Doomsday Device final location – Dexerto

New secret Fortnite map changes tease Doomsday Device final location Epic GamesEpic Games is setting Fortnite up for another massive in-game event as the Doomsday clock ticks away. New map changes have been uncovered and we may now know the final location of the ominous Doomsday Device. As Season 2 comes to a close, it looks like things will wrap up with another big bang. Perhaps not to the scale of The End event, but an enormous Doomsday Device could be set to change the map in a big way nonetheless. For weeks on end the secret device has been under construction in Midas’ room. But it might be emerging any day now, after new map changes were spotted. New map changes spotted underneath The Agency Following Fortnite’s 12.60 update, brand new terrain has been discovered underneath The Agency. These new additions line up perfectly underneath the fountain out front of the Point of Interest (POI). Additionally, bubbles have been spotted underneath the water fountain pool, and new black space has been added to the hatches. All of these secret changes are clearly preparing the map for what’s coming next. What could these new Fortnite changes mean? While nothing is set in stone for the upcoming Doomsday event, the Ghost and Shadow factions have been at war since the beginning of the season. It seems as though this hostility could reach a breaking point as the Doomsday Device soon relocates underneath the Agency. The big space that was just discovered could simply be awaiting the arrival of the world-changing contraption. “ I think it’s possible that the middle fountain/pool is going to open up to reveal the Doomsday Device underneath,” one avid Fortnite player suggested. There’s no telling exactly how it gets to the new location. However, the new hatches and the new bubbles, could signify all of the water being drained around The Agency. Making way for the finalized version as the timer nears its conclusion. The countdown has been activated in the Lobby…. The Doomsday Event will take place on May 30 at 20:05 CEST pic.twitter.com/4rLvlhxMfh — FortTory – Fortnite leaks & news (@FortTory) May 23, 2020 It’s only a matter of time before the seasonal transition is upon us. Keep your eyes peeled as the slightest changes in Fortnite could be major hints at what comes next. The Doomsday event is set to kick into gear on May 30 at 20:05 CEST, just days before Season 3 drops on June 4.

  • Secret Fortnite message hints at possible Season 2 event – Dexerto

Secret Fortnite message hints at possible Season 2 event Epic GamesAs Fortnite Chapter 2’s first season continues to wind down, players may have just seen their first clue that hints at the future of the battle royale game. Epic Games usually rolls out some sort of live event to close out the seasons, and there’s no reason to expect anything different this time around. In the lead up to these events, the developers will drop hints so players have something to discuss and theorize about regarding upcoming content. This time around, things have been comparatively quiet as we inch closer to February 20, when this current season is scheduled to end. However, players might have just stumbled across the first clue, and it may even reference a famous biblical event. A location near Holly Hills appears to spell out “NOAH,” which could end up being a hint that Epic Games will flood the map with water, essentially giving us something entirely new to experience in the very near future. This discovery was made by Reddit user ‘jtlambert,’ which may have a lot of weight behind it. In the image, you can see the trees make the letter “N,” while the rest of the characters are made up of bushes, fences, and a house, respectively. It would definitely be an unprecedented move to totally destroy the new map, so there’s a chance this could end up being just a random coincidence if they aren’t willing to let go of all the new locations, just yet. New seasons do usually come with map changes of some sort, but this latest one marked the first time all of the locations changed. To this point, Fortnite hasn’t referenced anything about religion, which isn’t surprising, considering the subject has been a controversial topic for many people since the dawn of time. For a game that is marketed to players of all ages, it might be a bit of a stretch to assume the event will be about anything biblical, but we’ll just have to wait and see. If this doesn’t end up being a clue of some sort for the next season, then just what direction will the new era take?

  • Secret Fortnite aiming changes discovered in v12.30 update – Dexerto

Secret Fortnite aiming changes discovered in v12.30 update Epic GamesFortnite players have uncovered some unannounced changes made to aiming in the recent 12.30 patch, which have further leveled the playing field between controller and mouse + keyboard. Released on March 31, the most recent Fortnite update added some new content to the battle royale, including Kingsman Umbrellas and Crash Pads. As has usually been the case since the release of Chapter 2, Epic Games did not publish any official patch notes, which meant that players had to try and figure out the rest of the changes for themselves. Turns out, Epic actually made a few pretty major changes, tweaking some of the aiming mechanics for those who play on mouse + keyboard. Read More: Fortnite v12.30 update patch notes – Not long after the downtime ended, competitive player ‘bhronos’ tweeted out some clips showing two significant adjustments for recoil, bloom, and flinching. It appears that both recoil and bloom now function on M+KB the same way they do on controller, whereas, previously, they were a lot easier to deal with using gamepads. Recoil and Bloom are finally the same on Mouse & Keyboard as it is on Controller… pic.twitter.com/5jhhvARrk1 — xen bhronos (@bhronos) March 31, 2020 According to the player, this balancing of recoil and flinch was actually a buff to M+KB rather than a nerf to controllers. The second secret aiming change that Epic made was mitigating flinch: “Also, you don’t flinch anymore when you get hit so your aim doesn’t screw up.” Bhronos commented on the clip that this adjustment was implemented the same on both peripherals, further balancing them out when it comes to aiming mechanics. Also, you don’t flinch anymore when you get hit so your Aim doesn’t screw up pic.twitter.com/ZIVayOQtaq — xen bhronos (@bhronos) March 31, 2020 While these changes don’t solve the great ‘aim assist debate’ that’s constantly roaring on, they should help further bridge the two player-bases that have been at odds with each other since the early days of Fortnite. At least those on M+KB will be more assured knowing that they have the same recoil, bloom, and flinch as their controller-using counterparts from here on out. Considering how significant these adjustments are, it’s a surprise that Epic Games didn’t make mention of them at all. But that’s been the norm with the developers, at least in recent months, so the Fortnite community has had to rely on players like bhronos to discover unannounced tweaks.

  • Secret changes in Fortnite v14.30 update: Galactus, Midas, Black Panther – Dexerto

Secret changes in Fortnite v14.30 update: Galactus, Midas, Black Panther Epic GamesThe v14.30 update has finally been released for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 and it has introduced some secret changes that Epic Games did not include in the latest set of patch notes. Fortnite’s superhero-themed Season 4 is continuing to deliver fresh content, with even more characters like Daredevil soon to be released in-game, as part of the upcoming Marvel Knockout Super Series. However, while Epic revealed that there were other tweaks, such as minor buffs for the Combat shotgun, there were a few secret changes that were not revealed in the latest patch notes. Here’s everything you need to know. Galactus added to the Fortnite map While there have been many Marvel heroes added to Fortnite in Season 4, it was also revealed that Galactus would appear in the battle royale as the villain, ahead of the Nexus War event. It seems as if he has finally been added to the Fortnite map after some eagle-eyed Fortnite fans discovered a change in the map’s skyline, with a bizarre red dot now visible after the 14.30 patch. Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey revealed that the “distant object” in the sky was Galactus and that he was on his way to the Fortnite island ahead of his showdown with the Avengers and other Marvel characters. New Black Panther Mythic Ability Fortnite’s Season 4 also saw the introduction of new Mythic Abilities that players can equip in-game and the latest update, on October 13, added a Black Panther ability called “Kinetic Armor.” The new power works similarly to the character’s suit in the popular Marvel movies, allowing players to absorb more damage, run faster, and even deal damage to nearby opponents and structures, after it has been activated. Fortnite YouTuber SypherPK shared gameplay of Black Panther’s Kinetic Armor and revealed that it can be found in the Stark Industries Supply Drones that are scattered across different points-of-interest on the Fortnite map. Fortnite Holly Hedges map changes There were also some secret map changes that were not mentioned in Fortnite’s recent patch notes and the v14.30 update saw tweaks to the Superstore near the Holly Hedges POI. With some Halloween-themed changes expected to arrive in Fortnite in the coming weeks, Epic Games has redecorated the landmark and renamed it the “Hey Boo Megastore.” While this is one of the first Halloween-based changes so far, it is likely that more will be on the way ahead of the upcoming Fortnitemares Halloween event. Epic teases Midas’ return to Fortnite Midas has been one of the biggest characters in Fortnite Chapter 2, but after his attempt to shake up the world in Season 2’s in-game event, he has completely disappeared from the battle royale. While he was last seen being eaten by a shark in the Season 3 trailer, it seems the mysterious character could be set for a return in the upcoming Halloween event, with his golden chair now appearing in The Authority POI. These are all of the secret changes that have been found so far after Fortnite’s 14.30 patch, but as it is still early we will be sure to update you with any new discoveries.

  • Secret behind Fortnite Chapter 2 no fall damage exploit uncovered – Dexerto

Secret behind Fortnite Chapter 2 no fall damage exploit uncovered One Fortnite fan has revealed the secret to the battle royale’s newest major exploit – not taking fall damage from any height. Fortnite Chapter 2 has been going strong since Epic Games shuck up their uber-popular battle royale title on October 15. The new map, limited loot pool, and different mechanics have given fans a relatively fresh game. However, it’s not wholly perfect. Nagging bugs have been popping up following the weekly patches, yet, it’s the new fall damage glitch that is presenting players with problems. The exploit, which was shown off to the mass on November 15 when popular player Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff was left speechless by it, has finally got an explanation behind it. In a post to the Fortnite Competitive subreddit, user MrHindoG showcased a video of how the no fall damage exploit that left players like NICKMERCS stunned actually worked. It all revolves around the huge in-game bushes that pop up around the map. For some reason, they currently aid players in not taking fall damage. Any player who simply travels through one won’t take the damage from the next time that they take a follow-up jump. This means that players who jump while on the ground after walking through a bush will have lost their chance to then take a high dive. Obviously, on the flip side, anyone who waits to jump will still have the ability to not take damage. Now, considering the building aspect of Fortnite, and the fact that some builds can get pretty high up in the sky, it seems as if this problem will present some players with an advantage over their opponents. Of course, it’s unknown if Epic Games are aware of this issue and if they’ll pump a patch out in the near future, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see it hotfixed – especially if the community speaks out about the bug.

  • Second Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 teaser continues golden theme – Dexerto

Second Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 teaser continues golden theme Epic GamesGold seems to be the color in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 as a new teaser for the game’s next major update has been revealed. Epic Games have delayed the arrival of the game’s second season not once, but twice, with the end date of Season 1 currently February 20. With just days until patch v11.50 really gets underway, players have been noticing some slight changes to the map when dropping from the Battle Bus, with a number of gold features appearing in specific locations – leading some to believe a new material might be introduced soon. The current crop of mats include wood, brick and metal. It’s been that way since the game first launched back in 2017, although many fans are now expecting gold to be added to that list. Well, on February 17, Epic Games decided to finally reveal a couple more looks at gold in Season 2, dropping a new teaser to social media that may answer a few questions. The release date is also confirmed by the graphic, with the first line saying “Transmission Intercepted,” while the rest are blacked out. A second teaser later in the day revealed the next line: “FN.CH02.S02.” They didn’t stop there as a third and fourth teaser was also released, uncovering more of the redacted info and putting the mask together. The teaser looks like Chaos Agent’s mask The mask, when it’s fully put together, closely resembles the Chaos Agent skin from Season X. Ep This was part of the Final Reckoning bundle and when the game switched over to Chapter 2, players quickly forgot about it. Perhaps this character could play a role in next season. Gold materials Before the release of this teaser, there had been a number of clues found across the Fortnite world and also in real life. First of all, there was a leak that suggested gold could be the next material, which was teased even further when different pieces of furniture in selected houses started to change color. The golden versions are much harder to break down, with many players saying they’re pretty much impossible to break – unless you want to swing your pickaxe at it for an eternity. Secret message Away from the world inside the video game, including leaks that come with it, was a real-life teaser that was discovered in Tokyo, Japan. The image showed a gold handprint printed over the Fortnite logo, with a phone number visible. Since that was found, many members of the game’s community have tried calling the number as well and there’s a secret message to be heard. It says: “Yes sir. The agents were called. Card to access the safe purchased.” Fortnite Teaser Location, Number, and Message translation list. Image by @FNLeaksAndInfo pic.twitter.com/LnU7apPeiZ — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) February 17, 2020 This was followed up by the official Twitter account for Fortnite changing their header to the gold handprint as well, which would suggest the theme for the next season may be centered around the gold material leaked previously. Whether or not gold will prove to be a complete game-changer or just a subtle tweak to gameplay in Season 2 remains to be seen, but all of the teasers released so far will keep Fortnite fans guessing either way.

  • Second Fortnite Season 8 teaser contains hints about the mysterious eggs – Dexerto

Second Fortnite Season 8 teaser contains hints about the mysterious eggs Epic Games have released the second official trailer for Fortnite Season 8, and seem to have included hints surround the mysterious eggs that have been found underneath Polar Peak. The first Season 8 trailer was released on Sunday, February 24, with an extremely obscure image, but some interesting text in the tweet that accompanied it, suggesting that we may see a pirate themed map for the new season. Now, the second of the teasers has officially been revealed, as excitement builds towards the official release of the new season on Thursday, February 28. Sssomething shimmers Within the cave… But beware of those Who arrive on waves. 3 days to Season 8. pic.twitter.com/Gn7ttmR39m— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) February 25, 2019 The teaser features the head of a large snake, in the same red and maroon color scheme that was introduced with the first teaser on February 24. While little is given away in the image, the caption that arrived alongside it gives us an interesting look at what could be coming on Thursday. The teaster states that “Sssomething shimmers within the cave…” likely referencing the mysterious eggs that were found covered in ice during Season 7, but have yet to be used as part of a larger storybeat inside the game. The teaser also warns players to “beware of those who arrive on waves,” which seems to point at the Pirate theme theory that has run rampant since the first trailer released. Seemingly confirming the link between the eggs and Season 8, Epic Games Creative Director Donald Mustard retweeted the teaser, and included with it an egg emoji, almost certainly referencing those that are found frozen in ice deep beneath The Ice King’s castle. With Season 8 now firmly on the horizon, Fortnite fans will need to act quickly if they want to get their hands on a free Battle Pass courtesy of Epic Games, who have made them available to anyone who completes 13 Overtime challenges. New teasers are expected to be released by Epic Games each day, so stay tuned to Dexerto to make sure you don’t miss any of them.

  • Scrubs actor reveals his thoughts on Fortnite using his dance – “They jacked that s***” – Dexerto

Scrubs actor reveals his thoughts on Fortnite using his dance – “They jacked that s***” Scrubs star Donald Faison once performed a now iconic dance on an episode of the medical comedy-drama, which many people of the younger generation now recognize as the Fortnite dance. Although players in Fortnite Battle Royale have their choice of countless dances and emotes to use, when the game first released in September 2017, all players were given one default dance. This was in fact the dance which Faison had improvized on the episode ‘My Half Acre’ in the show’s fifth season. During a reunion of the Scrubs cast, coming together for the first time since the show ended in 2010, where the topic of Faison’s dance being reincarnated in the world’s most popular game came up. However, despite now being made so iconic and performed by children in school all over the world as they show off their favorite Fortnite dances to friends, Faison isn’t receiving any royalties for his creation. Faison told the crowd that someone had reached out to him from Epic Games about using the ‘choreography’, which prompted the crowd to ask him to perform it for them, to which he responded “If you want to see it, you can play Fortnite, because they jacked that shit!” Faison is not the only dance creator who has gone unrewarded by Epic for using his dances in game, with a host of music artists having their own iconic dances used without royalties being paid. Hip-Hop artist Chance the Rapper previously called out Epic Games for using the work of ‘black creatives’ without paying them for it, arguing that the real songs should be used in order to pay the artists for their creation. Rapper 2 Milly also said he was planning to sue Epic Games for the use of his ‘Milly Rock’ dance, although the legal precedent for such a case is not clear.

  • Savage Fortnite diss rap takes aim at your favorite streamers, including Tfue, Dr DisRespect, and more – Dexerto

Savage Fortnite diss rap takes aim at your favorite streamers, including Tfue, Dr DisRespect, and more YouTube / Epic GamesA diss track created by YouTuber and streamer John the Rapper roasted the internet’s favorite Fortnite streamers, including the likes of NickMercs, Dr DisRespect, Myth, and more. A video for the track features a logo not unlike Eminem’s design for Killshot, a song calling out rapper Machine Gun Kelly for their current feud. However, in the place of MGK’s face are images of the streamers in question, and there are quite a few of them – thirty in total, in fact! “The (DisRespect) is an act, not a doctor’s opinion/ It’s no (Myth) I’m into (Poki)/ Which (Witch) doctor for the pinnin’?” John’s style of rapping is likewise reminiscent of Eminem’s signature tempo and wordplay, and even references Em’s newest album, Kamikaze. He also took shots at one of Fortnite’s biggest streamers, Tfue, referencing the player’s recent bans from Twitch. “(Tfue) would get it too, but Twitch wrote me a letter/ It said something about nothing, so I was like whatever.” While the four-minute long diss track takes a savage blow at a multitude of streamers, it was ultimately created ‘out of respect’ for the personalities in question, as revealed by the video’s description. Read More: How to watch Fortnite Fall Skirmish Week 3 ‘King Pin’ tournament – streams, live scores, teams, format, and more – “This was created out of the respect I have for the streamers mentioned, as well as Epic Games and the Fortnite community,” John wrote. John’s savagery knows no bounds, and he is currently awaiting responses for a Part 2.

  • How to scan a server at a Surface Hub for Fortnite Week 13 challenge – Dexerto

How to scan a server at a Surface Hub for Fortnite Week 13 challenge Epic GamesOne of Fortnite’s Season 5 Week 13 challenges requires you to scan a server at a Surface Hub. We’ve put together a location guide so you know exactly what to look for. Each week, a new set of weekly challenges goes live in Fortnite to help keep the game fresh and ensure that players have enough chances to earn XP and level up their Battle Pass, unlocking skins and cosmetics in the process. Some of these quests are easy, as they simply require you to deal damage with a specific weapon or visit a named location on the map. However, one Week 13 challenge asks you to scan a server at a Surface Hub. Chances are, most players won’t know what a Surface Hub is, or how to scan a server – but you’ve probably already stumbled upon one of them by accident at some point during Season 5 without even realizing it. What are Surface Hubs in Fortnite? As we mentioned before, if you’re an avid explorer of The Island, you might have come across a Surface Hub already. They’re the mysterious underground bunkers that have something to do with the Imagined Order. There are three Surface Hubs in total that can be found on the map: One is under the ruins at Stealthy Stronghold, a second is under Colossal Coliseum, and a third can be found just outside Hunter’s Haven. They’re pretty well hidden, but if you know where to look this quest shouldn’t be too difficult. Fortnite server at a Surface Hub location We’re going to focus on Colossal Coliseum for this guide as it’s the nearest location to the center of the map, where you’ll be able to complete a few more Fortnite Week 13 challenges while you’re at it. You’ll want to enter the Colossal Coliseum from the southern entrance, break through the big gate ahead of you with your pickaxe, then jump off the balcony onto the sandy area at the center of the POI. Once here, there should be a door on your left that takes you back into the ground floor of the outer building. Break through this, and then break through the door directly ahead of that one, too. You should now be faced with a set of stairs descending several floors into the ground. Follow them all the way down and you’ll emerge in the underground bunker, which is officially known as a Surface Hub. There’s a set of short stairs opposite the sofas down here – climb them and open the door at the top. Inside this room, you’ll find the server, which you can interact with to complete the Fortnite weekly challenge. A bonus of completing this quest is that these Surface Hubs usually have some great loot in them, so it’s a good way to kick off a match. Given the focus on the Zero Point and the Imagined Order in this week’s set of challenges, we wouldn’t be surprised if Epic Games are teasing a big live event for when Season 5 ends on March 15, 2021. If you’re looking for more XP to max out your Battle Pass and unlock all the enlightened skins before Season 6 kicks off, check out our complete Fortnite Week 13 challenges guide.

Samsung Stores Forced to Create Warning Signs Due to Fortnite’s Galaxy Skin Samsung stores have been forced to create warning signs to stop customers from trying to download Fortnite on in-store demo phones in an attempt to acquire the Galaxy skin. In a picture uploaded by 100 Thieves Fortnite player Archie ‘Parallax’ Shrader, a Samsung store was forced to inform members of the public that the demo phones in their stores were not able to download Fortnite. The sign also confirms that the demo phones wouldn’t grant skins, and customers should refrain from signing in to any accounts, stating; “All Samsung demo phones will NOT download Fortnite or the “skins”. Please do not install any information or downloads onto the demo phones, thank you.” the exclusive Galaxy skin. Players were entering Samsung stores, installing Fortnite, playing three games, and then unlocking the Galaxy skin. Unfortunately, once the Galaxy skin is unlocked on a device once, it cannot be unlocked again, so if the phone was later sold as a refurbished device, the new owner wouldn’t be unable to unlock the skin The Galaxy skin is only publicly available to players that own a Samsung Not 9 or Tab S4, making it one of the rarest in the game. Avid fans of Fortnite are always on the hunt for the newest and rarest skins, and you could argue that they deserve credit for their ingenuity and perseverance. Samsung, however, clearly don’t feel the same way!

Samsung Galaxy Scout Fortnite Skin leaked: how to claim Samsung/Epic GamesSamsung leaks have revealed another exclusive skin coming to Fortnite, this time known as the ‘Galaxy Scout’ skin. Take a first look at it here, as well as information on how you can redeem it when it drops in-game. Fortnite fans have grown accustomed to ambitious partnerships that lead to awesome in-game skins and events. From Star Wars to Marvel, Epic Games have re-written the book on in-game events and crossovers. One crossover fans may have forgotten about is the partnership with tech giants Samsung, which led to the Galaxy Skin being added back in Chapter One. Now, though, it seems that another Samsung themed skin is coming to Fortnite. Samsung Galaxy Scout Skin leaked for Fortnite On July 17, data-miner iFireMonkey, known for regular and accurate Fortnite leaks, shared a leak from the Samsung Health app. “Due to a mishap on the Samsung Health application,” they said, “twitter use @fu noticed that the Fortnite Galaxy Scout promotion was already on the app earlier than expected. Due to this, we now have a nice image that shows us what this skin will look like”. It retains the same stratospheric themes as the original Galaxy skin, but appears to be a female twist on the skin. ?Galaxy Scout Skin | First Look? • Samsung shut down links to leaked Fortnite Galaxy Unpacked skins – Dexerto

Samsung shut down links to leaked Fortnite Galaxy Unpacked skins Epic GamesA leaked Fortnite skin has the community buzzing, but a Samsung representative did his best to cool down rumors it will be a new Galaxy skin. Plenty of cosmetics leaked once the v11.40 update came out in Fortnite, one of them being the Iris skin, which fans instantly linked to Samsung. Longtime players will no doubt know that Samsung skins have appeared in the past, with the most recent one being the GLOW outfit, available to players who owned a Galaxy device. While this rumor has already gained a lot of steam, a Samsung employee fanned the flames and said the company doesn’t know anything about the Iris skin but did say they was a fan. I’ve just checked and at the moment, we don’t have any information about this skin, which looks good by the way,” said the employee, before teasing fans with some future news. “I suggest to watch the Galaxy Unpacked live stream on Tuesday, February 11. Perhaps we will announce something about a new skin, who knows..” I’ve just checked and at the moment, we don’t have any information about this skin, which looks good by the way. 😉 I suggest to watch the Galaxy Unpacked live stream on Tuesday, February 11. Perhaps we will announce something about a new skin, who knows.. ^Bruce — Samsung Nederland (@SamsungNL) January 16, 2020 It’s a strange situation because the skin rumors are extinguished, but then started right back up again in the very same tweet. Fortnite players are encouraged to tune in to the Galaxy Unpacked stream in February, where we might be getting a look at some new game content. Normally, this would just feel like a way for Samsung to promote their event where they’d show off new products, but it might be worth looking a bit more into this one because of the fact they have added skins to Fortnite before. So hear me out. The new Iris skin MAY be the skin for the new Samsung S20 / S11 releasing in 27 days at Galaxy Unpacked! Also IKONIK has recently ended and the “”BETA”” version of IKONIK had the same colors so yeah.. #Fortnite pic.twitter.com/ZO1j5oyQ29 — Max – Fortnite Leaks & Info (@FNLeaksAndInfo) January 16, 2020 It’s worth mentioning that no leaker has outright said the Iris skin will be a Samsung exclusive, but enough hints are there for them to make the link. As with any leak of this nature, it’s important to take it with a pinch of salt because plans change all the time. Until we get official word from Epic or Samsung themselves, all we can do is speculate. That said, this would certainly be a nice skin to our hands on, so here’s to hoping it enters the game in the near future.

  • Salty Springs chest locations for the Week 10, Season 5 Fortnite challenge – Dexerto

Salty Springs chest locations for the Week 10, Season 5 Fortnite challenge One of the more simple challenges for Week 10 of Season 5 in Fortnite Battle Royale requires you to open chests in Salty Springs. As one of the higher traffic areas of the map, finding chests in Salty Springs is more of a test to find ones that haven’t already been opened by another player! You’ll need to open a total of seven chests to complete this challenge, so getting it done in one game is unlikely. However, opening three or four chests at a time could be possible. Your best chance of getting things over and done with quickly is to plan your looting route before you land. Luckily, the ever helpful Fortnite Chests tool makes that planning a great deal easier. Check out the image below to see all of the possible chest spawn locations in Salty Springs. We would advise limiting your search area to the circled section of the map as chests on the outskirts of Salty Springs may not count. While there’s no guarantee that all of the chests will spawn every game, you should be able to find a handful each time that you land. As always, remember to complete any game that you open a Salty Springs chest in by being eliminated by an opponent or picking up the Victory Royale. • Samsung asks Fortnite to bring back it’s rarest skin – Dexerto

Samsung asks Fortnite to bring back it’s rarest skin Epic GamesSamsung has asked Epic Games to bring back the rarest skin to Fortnite with the release of Fortnite OG. Fortnite has gone back to its roots with the release of Fortnite OG. The callback to 2018 features some of the most nostalgic locations on the map and has brought back fan-favorite weapons and items. The excitement for Fortnite OG has been overwhelming as millions of players have flocked back to the game with its return. On November 4, the second day of the new update, Fortnite surpassed a new milestone by reaching over 44 million concert players. With the return of Fortnite OG comes the release of the OG Battlepass which includes inspirations from some of the most iconic skins in the game. Samsung urges for Galaxy skin to return to Fortnite But one skin is missing from the rewind is one of the game’s rarest skins that can only be obtained by purchasing a phone. On November 6, the Samsung UK Twitter account tagged Epic Games and asked them to bring back the ‘best skin’ in the game. The skin the Tweet is referring to is the Galaxy skin that was announced back in 2018 alongside the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Tab S4. To obtain the skin players had to purchase either the phone or tablet and download Fortnite on the device. From there the skin was then transferred to the account tied with the Samsung product. Since the skin could only be obtained by purchasing a phone, it is the rarest skin in the game. But perhaps, with the return of Fortnite OG, there could be another Samsung collaboration on the horizon.

  • Salty Springs Chest Locations for the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, Week 8 Challenge – Dexerto

Salty Springs Chest Locations for the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, Week 8 Challenge One of the easier challenges for Week 8 of Season 4 in of the Fortnite Battle Royale requires players to search chests in Salty Springs. Here are all of the known locations. June 21st marked the start of Week 8 for Battle Pass owners which means that Epic Games has now released seven new challenges for those players to attempt. Completing these challenges is the quickest way to gain XP and help them level up through the 100 tiers for Season 4, earning new skins, items, and other cosmetics in the process. One of the simplest challenges for Week 8 is to search seven chests in Salty Springs, so if you’ve noticed more people than normal dropping in that location, you now know why. Most experienced Fortnite players will already have a mental image of Salty Springs and its various chest locations, but some of you newer players might be struggling to find and open them before being eliminated by everyone else trying to complete the same challenge. Luckily, the guys over at Fortnite Chests have you covered. The screenshot below shows all of the known chest locations for Salty Springs, but remember that they won’t all spawn every single time. If a lot of people are dropping in Salty Springs, you may need more than one game to open all seven of the chests required to complete the challenge. As always, ensure that you finish each game, by being eliminated or winning, or your challenge progression might not be saved.

  • Ruthless Fortnite car trick lets you trap players in bunkers – Dexerto

Ruthless Fortnite car trick lets you trap players in bunkers Epic GamesIf you’re looking for a cheeky way to get some easy kills, you might want to consider doing this ruthless Fortnite car trick. Over the course of seven years since Fortnite’s initial launch, players have found different tricks using the season’s loot pool to get the upper hand. One prominent example this season is combining the Cerberus medallion with Thunderbolt of Zeus to let players dash in the air while zapping enemies on the ground. That, or using Wings of Icarus to avoid fall damage. However, it looks like those aren’t the only tricks players can use to pull off some easy kills or outlast enemies. As it turns out, one player has shared a certain ruthless trick to trap those looting inside weapon bunkers with a car. This was shared in a clip that started with the player spotting a squad heading to the bunker. After patiently waiting for the bunker to open and the squad to get inside, the player immediately hopped in a car and drove to the bunker, essentially placing the vehicle inside before quickly jumping out. With the car inside the bunker, those players were essentially trapped, unable to go outside. This is where things get interesting, though. Together with the player’s own squad, all of them spammed lightning bolts using the Thunderbolt of Zeus to the bunker’s opening, obliterating enemies inside it. It ended with the player using an emote after the chaotic situation, something that’s not surprising in the Fortnite community. As a general rule of thumb, always be on the lookout no matter where you are in Fortnite. If you have extra gold, hiring Artemis is recommended, as this NPC can scan enemies, revealing potential threats around your surroundings. On the other hand, if you’re looking into trying this trick yourself, then make sure you know the best chest spawn locations in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2 to get the Thunderbolt of Zeus.

  • Rumored Fortnite Season 7 ranked concept sounds perfect – Dexerto

Rumored Fortnite Season 7 ranked concept sounds perfect Fortnite players have long been wanting to see a ranked mode added to the game and it looks like they might get their wish if a new leak ends up coming to fruition. A rumor floating around the internets suggest that Fortnite might adopt a new ranking system in Season 7 that could serve to bridge the gap between the casual and competitive communities. The rumor, posted by Twitter user ‘GuzzlingS,’ was first spotted in the replies to a tweet from Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo. According to the Tweet, Epic Games is going to introduce casual and ranked playlists, with the latter adhering to the Winter Royale’s score system and rule set Insider leak from my friend at Epic: Season 7 launching with ranked playlist alongside casual playlist for solos and duos. Ranked solo and duo will use the #WinterRoyale scoring system and rules, but will have a way to lose points as well so as to not over inflate the matchmaking — Guzzling Slurp (@GuzzlingS) November 26, 2018 One thing to note in the rumor is that there will be a system in place to take points away from players for leaving games unfinished. While this isn’t something that has been seen in any of Fortnite’s in-game tournaments thus far, the concept of chipping away at a player’s rank for disconnects isn’t anything new to online competitive games. There will also be a smaller prize pool tournament (although still decent size), which anyone who finished above a certain point threshold in one of the 3 sessions and is eligible by Epic tourney rules can attempt to qualify for. These going to happen at the end of each season — Guzzling Slurp (@GuzzlingS) November 26, 2018 The rumor touched on the possibility of three rank resets throughout Season 7 to help to keep players engaged and willing to grind for rewards at the time of resets. Rewards would range from in-game cosmetic items to the top 1% of the leaderboard to V-bucks for the top 5%. Finally, the rumor suggests that an end-of-season tournament will be coming for players who acquire a certain amount of points at the end of any one of the sessions. The tourney would be smaller than those big events Epic Games has planned, but still something to compete for, especially for smaller, amateur players. • Slasher explains possible outcome of Fortnite and Apple lawsuit – Dexerto

Slasher explains possible outcome of Fortnite and Apple lawsuit YouTube: Fox BusinessFollowing the surprising news that Epic Games are suing Apple and Google after the companies removed Fortnite from their respective app stores, Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau made an appearance on Fox Business to break down the situation and reveal that he believes Epic will force major changes on the technological giants with their lawsuit. On August 13, Epic Games unveiled a new option to purchase their in-game Fortnite currency, V-Bucks, directly through the app, bypassing Apple and Google’s app store. This meant that the two companies wouldn’t receive a cut of up to 30% from the transactions. Many quickly suggested that this move would be a violation of both company’s terms of service, and it wasn’t long before the game was removed from app stores on both iOS and Android devices. The developers quickly hit back with a campaign mimicking Apple’s legendary ‘1984’ advert, calling on the company to ‘#FreeFortnite,’ before submitting lawsuits against both of the trillion-dollar companies. Unsurprisingly, this issue is rumbling on, with Apple set to terminate Epic Games’ developer accounts on iOS and Mac, which could end up affecting any developers who use Unreal Engine. With the eyes of the world watching this situation unfold, Breslau appeared on Fox Business to break down the suit, and revealed he believes that Epic could force major changes on Apple in his conversation with host Ashley Webster. When asked what the endgame was for Epic, Breslau explained: “This is a personal thing [for Tim Sweeney]. He’s been a huge advocate against Apple’s mobile app store, and now he’s mobilizing his company and the biggest game they have in Fortnite to try and make things fair for what he says is all developers around the world. “Fortnite as a game is one of the first to have crossplay between consoles along with phones, so his way of looking at technology and the internet is to have open platforms. Apple is notoriously one of the most closed platforms in the world, you can’t create another App Store on the platform like Google and Android, which is why Tim isn’t going as hard at them as they are at Apple.” Webster raised the idea that Apple and Google own and maintain the stores, so their argument will likely be that they can then charge whatever they like. “I will say Epic have gotten some very high profile lawyers,” responded Slasher. “They wouldn’t have jumped on this case if they didn’t think they had a real shot at taking down Apple and Google. They want to try and change the way Apple looks at the entire ecosystem, and let developers create their own store if they want to.” Breslau then mentioned the congressional anti-trust hearing from July about situations like Apple’s app store, stating that Epic Games have been able to push the conversation forward much further than congress ever could, before stating: “I actually think Epic has a real shot at making a big change in Apple’s app store, and Google’s as well.” i went on Fox Business tv to breakdown Epic Games ongoing Fortnite war vs Apple and Google pic.twitter.com/xr3ZlI3JRw — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) August 17, 2020 Players who already have Fortnite installed on their iOS and Android devices can continue to play the game for the foreseeable future, but will no longer receive any updates now that the game has been removed from the app store. When a resolution will be found in this lawsuit remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: no matter the outcome, it will have major implications on the landscape of mobile gaming and technology as a whole for years to come.

RL Grime and Airwaks win $3 million Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am 2019 – Recap and final placements Fortnite/TwitchPopular Twitch streamer Karim ‘Airwaks’ Benghalia and popular DJ RL Grime took the top honors on June 16 at the second annual Fortnite Pro-Am Celebrity Tournament to wrap up an incredible 2019 Fortnite Summer Block Party. Stars from the Twitchverse and world-renowned celebrities converged to Inglewood, California where the stage was set for an epic Pro-Am competition in the Forum. With the victory in tow, the winning pair earned the coveted Golden Pickaxe trophy to take home along with the bulk of the $3 million prize pool for the charity of their choosing. The first official game of the event easily went to RL Grime and Airwaks, by getting an astonished 16 eliminations total, netting them a cool 26 points to start off the event on a strong foundation. They owned the first game, having 10 more kills than the second place team consisting of artist Dillon Francis and former FaZe pro Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore who were only about to get six total kills and 11 points in that first game. @Airwaks and @RLGRIME secure the Victory Royale in game one in some intense competitive action! Tune in now as we get ready to head into game two: https://t.co/Uq1vtz7jM8 pic.twitter.com/wDZHt22A7v — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 17, 2019 Tyler ‘Ninja Blevins couldn’t manage to get into the top 10 in the first go around, as it was a hotly contested game with tons of players quickly being eliminated which was undoubtedly in part due to first game jitters. The second game, audiences got a great sneak peak into what awaits them at the Fortnite World Cup seeing as qualified pros Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad and ‘BuckeFPS’ were locked in a vicious 1v1 to close the game. With the final moments resulting in a back-and-forth build battle, Ayden was eventually able to pull out the Victory Royale. @aydan and Robert Abisi from @wearelostkings take game two in the Celebrity Pro-AM at the #SummerBlockParty Tune in: https://t.co/Uq1vtz7jM8 pic.twitter.com/MFActDyFZ8 — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 17, 2019 Typical Gamer and Jimmy O Wang came out on top of the third game that was by far the closest of the bunch up to that point. In a frantic 1v1v1 situation in the final seconds of the game, Typical Gamer put the team on his back to pickup the massive win. @TypicalGamer and @FunnyAsianDude take game three! The final match has begun: https://t.co/Uq1vtz7jM8 pic.twitter.com/YlofJn0ELr — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 17, 2019 Despite the win, however, it was RL Grime and Airways who hung onto first place heading into the final game of the event, pulling in 23 eliminations and 40 points through three games. The final game came down to the wire once again, with Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier and Aydan locked in a heated 1v1 as the final circle was closing in. Even though Aydan had the high-ground, it was Symfuhny that secured the crucial Victory Royale. Aydan losing that final 1v1 ended up being the difference, as they fell short of the tournament victory by just four points as RL Grime and Ariwaks secured the victory. With the win, RL Grime and Airwaks won an incredible $1,000,000 for charities of their choice. Aydan and Lost Kings didn’t go home empty-handed, however, as they nabbed $500,000 for their charities. The entire top 10 prize split can be viewed below: Fans of competitive Fortnite can look forward to the final week of the World Cup Qualifiers that are set to take place on June 20 and 21.

  • Rocket Launcher exploit in Fortnite destroys bases instantly – Dexerto

Rocket Launcher exploit in Fortnite destroys bases instantly Enemy players who decide to build themselves into a small base instead of taking players on in combat may have to rethink their strategy – thanks to this amazing tip that destroys their hiding spot in Fortnite Battle Royale. These players, often called ‘turtlers’, will build a small box which is just one wall wide, then place a floor piece and a pyramid on top as a way to protect themselves against enemy players instead of challenging them in a gunfight. Anyone who tries to break through the roof will need to destroy two pieces to get eyes on their enemy, while taking down the walls makes it easy for the player to replace them and remain in their hiding spot. If you find turtlers frustrating, Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez’ has found an incredibly easy way to demolish an opponent’s building with a Rocket Launcher while on top of it, without taking any damage from the explosion. When standing on the pyramid section of the base, position yourself on one of the four faces of the shape, and aim your Rocket Launcher at the middle of the face next you. Read More: First look at the new Mounted Turret in action in Fortnite Battle Royale Then, simply fire your Rocket Launcher, which will destroy the structure, with the raised edge of the pyramid appearing to provide cover from the blast. With the structure destroyed, you are free to take on your enemy, instead of waiting for him to burst out of his hiding spot to attempt to eliminate you. Fortnite fans are always attempting to come up with new ways to take out opponents, including another way to destroy an enemy base with a Hand Cannon, and a concept for a new trap that would allow players to take control of enemy builds.

  • Risky Reels Chest Locations for the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, Week 7 Challenge – Dexerto

Risky Reels Chest Locations for the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, Week 7 Challenge One of the challenges for Week 7, Season 4, of the Battle Pass for Fortnite Battle Royale requires players to search chests in Risky Reels. Here are all of the known locations. June 14th marked the start of Week 7 for Season 4 in Fortnite Battle Royale which means that Epic Games has now released seven new challenges for Battle Pass owners to complete. Completing the challenges will earn players a significant boost in XP, help them level up through the 100 tiers for Season 4, and earn new skins, items, and other cosmetics. If you’ve noticed a sudden influx of people dropping in the North Eastern area of the map, it probably has something to do with one of the easier challenges for Week 7: to search seven chests in Risky Reels. Read More: The Secret Blockbuster Skin for Fortnite Battle Royale Has Been Revealed and it Includes Customization – While most veterans of the game will already have a mental map of Risky Reels, and most of its chest locations, some newer players might be struggling to find and open them before all the other people that have dropped in the same spot. Luckily, the guys over at Fortnite Chests have you covered. The screenshot below shows all of the known chest locations for the location, but remember that they won’t all spawn every time. If a lot of people are dropping at Risky Reels, you may need more than one game to open all seven of the chests required to complete the challenge. As always, ensure that you finish each game by being eliminated or getting the Victory Royale, or your challenge progression might not be saved.

  • Rise of Skywalker: Ninja teaches Mark Hamill the ways of Fortnite – Dexerto

Rise of Skywalker: Ninja teaches Mark Hamill the ways of Fortnite Ninja and Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, got together for an episode of Xbox Sessions to play Fortnite. In an effort to promote Fortnite’s Winterfest event, Mixer star Ninja got together with Mark Hamill and his family to show off the new content. It’s worth noting this was Hamill’s first time ever playing Fortnite so there had to be a lot of coaching given by Ninja. Luckily, he was more than up to the task and was easily able to show Hamill the ropes so he wasn’t too lost out there. The pair were joined by fellow Mixer streamer Simby and they all showed off the new features, along with delivering a hard carry for Hamill. It’s hard to expect much out of him from his first time ever playing, but honestly, it could’ve gone a lot worse than it did. Ninja had to show him where the right bumper was on the Xbox One controller as well as explain how Reboot Vans work, but Hamill was quick learner, much like Luke Skywalker when he trained with Yoda on Dagobah. Surprisingly, at the end of the play session, Hamill said that he actually wants to keep playing Fortnite in the future. “I was afraid of something that now has come true which is now that I’ve played this, I want to play more,” he said. “And I don’t have enough time.” (Quote begins at 8:04) Hamill is quite the busy man as he has many roles in voice acting and has a new movie to promote in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. For fans who were hoping this special episode of Xbox Sessions would result in Fortnite adding a Luke Skywalker skin, it looks like we can put those dreams to rest. However, the Star Wars content isn’t over if the leaks are anything to go by. A Kylo Ren skin complete with a pickaxe has been leaked and that looks to be the last of the Star Wars content that will be coming to the game.

The winner of each regional tournament’s Grand Final stage was decided through six matches.

  • Ridiculous Shadow Bomb glitch lets players use weapons while permanently invisible – Dexerto

Ridiculous Shadow Bomb glitch lets players use weapons while permanently invisible Epic GamesEpic Games introduced a new Shadow Bomb item to Fortnite Battle Royale with the v8.51 patch, but it has had some unintended consequences so far that look destined to disrupt online matches. The new Shadow Bomb item allows players to become invisible and even double jump, allowing them to sneak around on their opponents. This new feature was only intended to keep players safe from opponents, meaning weapons are supposed to be disabled when the item is used. However, major problems have already surfaced as players have managed to find an exploit which not only allows them to stay invisible for the entire match, but also use their guns at the same time. This could be game-breaking This Fortnite player discovered the glitch after being eliminated by a friend while invisible and then respawning invisible with full use of his guns. The intended use of the Shadow Bomb is to go invisible for escaping or sneaking – you aren’t able to shoot or build while invisible. Yet, this glitch found a way around it. if your duo is knocked while invisible and you revive him, he will be invisible the whole game and he can use weapons while double jumping 😀 gg’s ez qualify @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/WW3VoEEItS — humanilliance (@humanilliance) May 2, 2019 Shadow Bombs are already really useful items on their own, but their power goes up a notch when you are able to remain invisible and still do all the things you’d normally be able to do. A good thing for Fortnite Battle Royale players, though, is that the exploit doesn’t seem to be particularly easy to replicate. This Twitter user said they tried to do it themselves, but it wouldn’t work. You remain invisible in the air If players aren’t able to pull off the previous exploit, they can probably do this one pretty easily as it’s not exactly a glitch – but is definitely still something Epic Games should take a look at. During TimTheTatman’s stream, he tested a theory with the geysers on the map and the Shadow Bomb. He wanted to see if you remained invisible while gliding, something he confirmed. In his clip, you can see him remain in the air indefinitely while remaining invisible. If this isn’t fixed or changed before this weekend’s World Cup qualifiers, there’s a chance that it could have an impact on proceedings. When there are issues that affect competitive play, Epic Games tends to take a more proactive approach to resolve the issue, as we saw with the Reboot Vans being disabled before the qualifiers. There hasn’t been an official statement from Epic Games as of yet, but if this glitch starts to be used regularly as an exploit – which is entirely possible – we can probably expect a fix sooner rather than later.
