  • NICKMERCS explains why he’s considering playing Fortnite on Twitch again – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why he’s considering playing Fortnite on Twitch again Epic Games/Twitch: NICKMERCSFaZe Clan content creator Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed that he could be making a return to Fortnite streams soon, explaining that he misses playing the game live on Twitch. NICKMERCS has been part of the gaming community for some time, making his name initially as a professional Gears of War player. However, he has since found incredible success off the back of Fortnite Battle Royale, amassing millions of followers thanks to his controller gameplay and comedic commentaries. Like many other Fortnite content creators and competitors, he moved away from the title in its second chapter, citing declining seasons, mechs and SBMM as reasons for moving to other titles. The last few months on Kolcheff’s stream have been dominated by other titles, mainly Call of Duty: Warzone. On November 14, though, Kolcheff took many by surprise by stating his desire to return to Fortnite again, explaining that he’s considering re-adding it into his library of video games to stream. “Bro I miss playing Fortnite,” he tweeted. “Some of the best times I’ve ever had, gaming. Considering throwin’ it back in the rotation.” Bro I miss playing Fortnite. Some of the best times I’ve ever had, gaming. Considering throwin’ it back in the rotation. — FaZe Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) November 14, 2020 Given Kolcheff’s love for Warzone and his acrimonious split from Fortnite, many were taken aback by the statement, including fellow Twitch streamer DrLupo, who said: “I’ll take tweets I never thought I’d see for 800”. Many also thought the release of Black Ops Cold War would signal primarily CoD content for the near future. Although he was not a big fan of the BOCW beta, the new Treyarch title will overlap with Warzone and become integral to the future of the battle royale. Whether Kolcheff makes a meaningful return to Fortnite or just streams it for a couple of games remains to be seen, but fans of Epic Games’ battle royale should keep their eyes on his Twitch channel in the coming days.

  • NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite’s Tac Shotgun is “underrated” – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite’s Tac Shotgun is “underrated” L: NICKMERCS R: Epic GamesTwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff thinks players might be underestimating the power of the Tactical Shotgun in Fortnite. In Fortnite Chapter 2, players are now back to having two types of shotguns after previously having several different options. The strongest one is still the Pump Shotgun, and one that many players gravitate towards, but that doesn’t mean the Tactical is a gun players should ignore. For starters, the Tac is far more forgiving than the Pump since players can miss a few shots while still keeping the edge over their enemy. The latter requires you to be accurate with your shots as it shoots a lot slower, and if you aren’t able to take out your opponent with the first hit, the fight could quickly go south. Nick actually says the Tac is underrated and thinks players should start using it more often, citing one specific reason. In a YouTube video uploaded on January 24, the Fortnite content creator says something people might not know about this gun is its superior range. “The purple and gold Tac are really underrated,” he says. “The damage is cool but the one thing a lot of people don’t talk about is the f**king range, bro. The range of the shotguns is pretty crazy.” (Timestamp 2:47) While you won’t be hitting for extremely high numbers from range, the Tac will perform better than the Pump does from the same distance. If you’re somebody who doesn’t like getting up close and personal with your enemy, this might be the shotgun you’ll prioritize going forward. Another thing he mentions he likes about the gun is the ability to perform “jump shots” on people with high ground. The quick-firing ability allows you to take away a large chunk of health from an enemy before they even realize what’s happening. In his ranking of the Chapter 2 shotguns, NICKMERCS ranked the Tacs high, with only the Gold and Purple Pumps sitting above them. Amusingly enough, he ranked the Grey one lower than a pickaxe, showing how much he really hates that gun. He’s been preaching to his audience about the importance of using the Tac, so hopefully, this will be what it takes to finally get his viewers to convert from the Pump.

  • NICKMERCS explains why he’s changed his mind on Ranked Playlists in Fortnite – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why he’s changed his mind on Ranked Playlists in Fortnite 100 Thieves streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed why he has changed his mind on the idea of Epic Games adding a ranked playlist to Fortnite Battle Royale. Kolcheff, who is well known for using a controller on the game when most would agree that it puts him at a disadvantage, has previously voiced his opinion that he doesn’t want Epic Games to add a ranked playlist into the game. However, after taking part in the Fortnite Winter Royale qualifiers that took place on November 24 and 25, NICKMERCS would now be in favour of a playlist similar to that making an appearance in the game permanently. “I’ll tell you, I wish we could play in those qualifiers right now,” stated the 100 Thieves member. “People have been telling me about these ranked playlists that they want, and for a long time I’ve kind of been against it. “I see what Epic is doing by keeping everybody in the same playlist, in the same lobby, you know, everybody in the same pot. I get it. I see what that’s all about.” “But now, after playing that for 12 hours? I don’t want to play this. I don’t want to do this. This sucks. It’s fucking slow, everybody sucks. They’re all a bunch of pop-tarts, nobody is about it,” concluded NICKMERCS. While Kolcheff enjoyed playing in the Fortnite Winter Royale qualifiers, he failed to make it through to the next stage, finishing outside of the top 200 in North America. NICKMERCS may get his wish of a ranked playlist in the near future, if rumors that are circulating are to be believed. They state that Fortnite’s Season 7 will kick off with new ranked playlists in place, however there is no confirmation from Epic Games that this will be the case.

  • NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite shouldn’t change controller aim assist – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite shouldn’t change controller aim assist Fortnite professional player and FaZe Clan streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why the game’s aim assist for those who use controllers isn’t too powerful, as plays continue to criticize the feature and claim it’s too much. Aim assist has become a hot topic among the Fortnite community over the past few weeks, with many coming out and claiming that it’s power gives those who choose to use controllers over keyboard and mouse an unfair advantage, something which those who wield gamepads vehemently deny. While most Fortnite pros use the computer peripherals to play, NICKMERCS is one of the few that use controller, and while he has always been a staunch supporter of the use of gamepads, the streamer once again came to the defence of those who use them as the criticism continues to flow. While playing alongside fellow FaZe Clan member Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, the pair got into a discussion about the system which helps those on controllers aim by dragging their crosshairs towards enemies when they target close to an opponent. While Mongraal was staunchly against it, claiming it needed to receive a major nerf, his American teammate was less keen on the idea, claiming that good players are dangerous no matter what peripheral they’re using. “I really do agree that it’s easier to aim in some aspects on controller with aim assist,” the 29-year-old explained. “It’s also easier to aim in some aspects with the mouse, it just depends on how you look at it. Listen man, I’m never going to agree that they should take it out of the game and change it. They’ve given multiple different looks at it. I’ve seen [pro controller] highlights, I’ve seen Unknown, he’s a f**king beast.” The streamer continued: “But you can’t sit there and tell me that he doesn’t work endlessly on his box fights and all the editing, and the game knowledge. He’s been doing that sh*t for a minute. Have you seen some of the PC guys? It’s the same sh*t. Triple66 with the burst [rifle]. If you’re good, like you are, then you know what you can f**king do.” Some players remain convinced that controller players have an advantage, with World Cup Winner Kyle ‘Bigha’ Giersdorf stunned when he tried it out, while Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani claimed he was going to join the “controller army” when he gave it a shot back in December. NICKMERCS certainly has no intention of ditching his gamepad, but it seems he feels that the controversy surrounding aim assist on controllers is out of control, and good players will take down bad ones no matter what peripheral they’re using.

  • NICKMERCS explains why new Fortnite pros are “completely spoiled” – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why new Fortnite pros are “completely spoiled” FaZe Clan / Epic GamesExperienced Fortnite streamer and FaZe Clan member, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has called out the new wave of Fortnite pros and criticized them for being “spoiled” by massive prize pools. Having been an active online competitor and prominent Fortnite streamer since the battle royale rose to fame, NICKMERCS could be considered somewhat of a veteran in the scene. While many up and coming players in the Fortnite community have been able to make a name for themselves from a young age, the 29-year-old streamer argues that most are “completely spoiled” by some of esports’ biggest prize pools. Outlining how he believes Epic Games has all but “spoiled” the competitive Fortnite scene with lofty prize pools right from the jump, NICKMERCS emphasized that modern-day professionals don’t understand just how good they have it. “It’s not their fault, you can’t get super angry because they don’t know better,” he expressed throughout a recent Twitch stream. “They don’t know about playing for breadcrumbs. They have no idea. None of them ever did it.” As a former Gears of War and Halo competitor, having raised trophies at events from as early as 2009, the now-transitioned streamer argues that current pro players never had to play for “anything but billions of dollars.” “You can’t blame them too hard, that’s all they know, that’s all they’re used to. They’re f***ing spoiled. They’re completely spoiled.” The most iconic Fortnite competition to date, 2019’s World Cup Finals, featured 100 players from around the world as they battled for their share of over $15 million. The kitty made it the single most lucrative esports competition outside of Valve’s Dota 2. The bar was certainly set high with Epic’s first-year event. The average age of competitors featured in the 2019 World Cup Solo tournament stands at 16. Therefore, it’s safe to assume that the large majority of professional players finding success in Fortnite, are new competitors without prior experience in any other scenes similar to NICKMERCS. As a result, the streamer outlined that “for the rest of time, any younger, newer game community…they’re always going to be full of complaining little bi***es.” While the young Fortnite player-base may not have competed in the earlier days of the esports industry, perhaps NICKMERCS veteran speech could help inspire a few to be grateful for the prize pools they’re able to vie for in 2020. Announced on March 9, duos will be the focus of Fortnite’s next competitive push, as the Fortnite Champion Series looks to make its return in the near future.

  • NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite console aim assist is stronger than PC – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why Fortnite console aim assist is stronger than PC NICKMERCS/Microsoft/Epic GamesPopular Fortnite streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why aim assist is actually stronger on console compared to PC despite complaints about it being the other way around. Ever since Fortnite released and allowed cross-play in the battle royale mode, fans have been debating whether or not controller players have an advantage when it comes to aim assist and other aspects of the game. Controller players are given aim assist in-game, where it appears as if they lock-on to enemies much easier than keyboard and mouse users – with professionals like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney claiming that it could spell disaster for the popular title if it isn’t adjusted. However, after hopping back and forward between PC and PS4, NICKMERCS has explained why its better on console than PC. The popular streamer made his name as one of the best controller players in the scene, first off sticking with a console before switching to a PC. Though, for the PS4 Celebration Cup, he switched back to the faithful Sony system. After plucking a player out of mid-air with an early game kill in his warm-up matches, NICKMERCS quickly explained his thoughts on aim assist. “I’ll tell you what, if people be talking about like the aim assist is stronger on f**king PC, I don’t know man,” he said. “You know what it is, it is just easier to move on PC man, like, it’s easier to play the game but that grip, that like f**king grip on the character, goddamn, s**t feels strong as f**k.” However, the former Gears of War player noted that it is “all situational” because some players use the L2 trigger to snap on to enemies at distance, but that isn’t wholly helpful when you’re in a boxfight or someone is closing the distance between you. Of course, there will probably never be an end to the debate around aim assist until Epic Games drops some sort of tweaks to the mechanic – though they don’t appear to be planning on that any time soon. Players on both sides of the argument will still hold their own opinions regardless, but it might be best to experience both as Nick has.

  • NICKMERCS defends Fortnite controller players after Ninja slams aim assist – Dexerto

NICKMERCS defends Fortnite controller players after Ninja slams aim assist Instagram/SCUF GamingNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff hit back at Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins after the Mixer star slammed players who use controllers on PC, and suggested they shouldn’t be allowed to compete on the platform. The pair were grouped up on stream for some squads matches when the conversation drifted to controller players who play on PC, which Ninja claimed was “broken” since they have the same aim assist as on console, but with higher FPS. After hearing Blevins’ comments, NICKMERCS, who is the biggest name in the Fortnite controller community, challenged him to plug in a gamepad to test it out for himself. “Ninja, if it was OP all those motherf**kers would be playing it, and you know it,” the FaZe star said in response. Nick went on to call out his Mixer counterpart and other Fortnite pros for making a big deal anytime a controller player finished top-10 in a tournament, even though they face several disadvantages, he claimed. “You get the top 100, and ten of those kids are controller players, and because one of them’s in the top ten, everyone’s got a f*cking problem with it,” Nick argued. “But it’s the same argument every time.” “I think the issue is that it’s not that one person is in the top-10, it’s that the guy who’s a controller player in the top-10 has 50 times the eliminations of all the PC players,” Blevins hit back. “That’s the problem.” Kolcheff countered with the argument that controller players were actually at a disadvantage when it comes to building, compared to their PC counterparts, but Ninja said if they just find a teammate who can build, controller players can focus purely on fighting and editing. “What you’re saying right now is the problem – the pick a duo partner who can build and edit for them, that’s unfair,” he said. “They don’t even have to build, they just follow a tunnel, edit out, and just laser. That’s when it becomes an issue.” This age-old argument then begs the question – what can be done to make both sides happy? Obviously playing on a controller is going to always remain a big part of Fortnite, so Ninja suggested that players should only be allowed to compete against others using the same peripherals. “Why are controller players even playing against PC players?” the Mixer star asked. “Put them in their own servers. Put all the console players, the Xbox controller players together in tournaments, let them play against each other.” “You don’t think that’s great though?” Nick replied, suggesting that the mix of players is what differentiates this competitive game from most others. “You don’t think it was a unique thing that makes Fortnite, Fortnite?” Ninja did admit that the solution may not be nerfing aim assist, which is what a lot of big-name Fortnite players have suggested in the past. He accepts the fact that the mechanic is essential to those who play on controller, and instead Epic should focus on balancing out the competitive field rather than making fundamental changes to the game. The two seemed to agree on that front at least, as even Nick said that console players should probably compete against each other rather than be forced to play against those on PC, who have significant advantages that go beyond aim assist.

  • NICKMERCS claims Fortnite skill cap is “f**king insane” compared to Warzone & Apex Legends – Dexerto

NICKMERCS claims Fortnite skill cap is “f**king insane” compared to Warzone & Apex Legends Epic Games / Twitch, NICKMERCSNICKMERCS is one of Twitch’s biggest stars on the platform, making a name in the Battle Royale category. After putting numerous hours into BRs, the streamer claims the skill gap in Fortnite will never be reached by Apex Legends or Warzone. As a big streamer on Twitch NICKMERCS has made a name for himself throughout the years and has a huge influence on the gaming community. The FaZe Clan member has competed at the top level of Fortnite, Warzone, and recently has dipped his feet into Apex Legends. While he is able to compete at the highest competition in these games, NICKMERCS says there is one that requires the most skill and will never be touched. NICKMERCS thinks Fortnite takes more skill than Apex and Warzone The streamer went on a long rant talking about what separates each BR from one another. He said that Apex is harder than Warzone but Fortnite is by far the hardest of them all. NICKMERCS says that controller players are doing so much more in Fortnite than in any other BR. When comparing all of these games he’s played, the star said, “There’s no game like Fortnite.” “”Apex Legends is more difficult than Warzone… but there’s no game like Fortnite.”” Is @NICKMERCS speaking facts? pic.twitter.com/gjfJiQmixZ — FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) August 14, 2021 Controller players have to do so much and NICKMERCS says that it’s such a physical demand on your hands. He says nothing will match what a top controller player can do in Fortnite, “The stuff they’re f**king doing is insane. It’s f**king insane it’s not even comparable to Apex or Warzone,” NICKMERCS said. Although Apex Legends has abilities that players need to use, Fortnite has the building aspect of the game. This requires you to place down different pieces, edit them, and do all of this while killing enemies. The majority of the community seemed to be backing with NICKMERCS, agreeing that the skill gap in Fortnite is so much higher than any other BR that is around. For now, you’ll have to be the judge and play for yourself.

  • NICKMERCS hits out at Epic Games over Fortnite FNCS issues – Dexerto

NICKMERCS hits out at Epic Games over Fortnite FNCS issues Popular Fortnite pro player and FaZe Clan member Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff hit out at Epic Games after a number of glitches marred his team’s participation in the Fortnite Champion Series. Epic Games’ popular battle royale title ran into a number of major issues over the weekend, with a playlist glitch leaving teams uncertain if points they had earned in their first match of the weekend counted, leaving them confused for much of the competition on Saturday, November 9. To make matters worse, NICKMERCS then got booted from a game before they landed, with the game still counting as one of their 10 available games, and wasting so much time that they were unable to queue for their final match of the day. Unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old wasn’t happy, and called out Epic Games over the fact that the game is now two years old, but is still affected by these kinds of issues. “I don’t understand how we’re two years into this game,” the streamer told his chat, “And things like this can f**king happen. I really don’t.” “I’m not trying to make it about me, I’m talking on behalf of everyone who had a really good first game, and they just don’t count it. I can’t wrap my head around how that’s fair. It’s a very big competition, with a lot of people putting in a lot of their own time.” NICKMERCS then took his frustrations to Twitter, claiming that he felt it was becoming “very difficult” to take competitive Fortnite seriously. The FaZe Clan star wrote that this was sad because he loves the game, and “has never been more motivated” to play it. It’s becoming very difficult for me to take competitive @FortniteGame seriously. Which is sad too, because I love the game & I’ve never been more motivated. — Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) November 10, 2019 NICKMERCS wasn’t the only player upset at Epic Games’ handling of issues in competitive Fortite, with fellow FaZe member Nate Hill claiming that the developers cost him $200,000, and that they “don’t care” about pro players. Epic themselves have yet to comment on the frustrations from competitive players, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when they do.

  • NICKMERCS & Aydan tease Fortnite reunion in Chapter 3 as Tilted Towers returns – Dexerto

NICKMERCS & Aydan tease Fortnite reunion in Chapter 3 as Tilted Towers returns Epic Games/ Twitter: NICKMERCSFormerly formidable Fortnite duo Aydan and NICKMERCS have teased a return to Epic’s building battle royale in Chapter 3 – after Season 8’s The End event revealed a frozen Tilted Towers that will slowly thaw across the season. There’s a certain level of nostalgia to the thought of Aydan and NICKMERCS playing Fortnite, with both men moving away from Epic’s battle royale across Chapter Two. They both went on to play and compete in Call of Duty: Warzone and NICKMERCS has now invested considerable time into Respawn’s Apex Legends. He actually explained that he wasn’t particularly excited for Fortnite’s third chapter and The End event, but he probably wasn’t expecting the return (albeit in frozen form) of one of Fortnite’s infamous and most-loved POIs. No one was sure exactly what to expect from The End event, but it signaled the return of Tilted Towers, the chaotic city POI that represented some of Fortnite Chapter One’s hottest drops. It has returned frozen, and is expected to thaw slowly across Chapter 3’s first season and become playable later in the chapter. While he was not that excited for the event and what followed, it appears that Tilted Towers’ return won NICKMERCS over, who went on to propose a reunion with Aydan. Responding, Aydan simply said “Let me know brother,” indicating he’d be more than willing to play with his controller duo. Both men moved away from the game at the end of its first chapter and into its second. Reasons varied, but unpopular changes like the B.R.U.T.E Mech suits and the addition of bots into every lobby pushed many creators to other titles. Alongside Tilted, Dwayne Johnson was unveiled as The Foundation, signaling the start of another narrative chapter in Fortnite. It remains to be seen whether creators return in Chapter 3, but its size and scope is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Epic.

  • NICKMERCS and Ghost Aydan prove what console players are capable of during Fortnite Fall Skirmish – Dexerto

NICKMERCS and Ghost Aydan prove what console players are capable of during Fortnite Fall Skirmish 100 Thieves streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and Ghost Gaming pro player Aydan proved you don’t need a mouse to dominate Fortnite opponents during the Fall Skirmish finals. The pair are well known for using controllers while playing Fortnite instead of a keyboards and mouse, like most other professional players. It is widely accepted that using a controller puts players at a disadvantage against those who use mice, as the controller thumbsticks fail to offer the precision aiming and swift movement that a computer mouse does. However, you wouldn’t know that if you were watching Nick and Ayden for the first time. The pair both took part in this weekend’s Fortnite Fall Skirmish finals, and teamed up as they attempted to take home a piece of the $2.6 million prize pool. In the early stages of Game 5, Nick and Aydan found themselves in a massive build battle against PAX West Summer Skirmish winner Morgausse and Saint, with the storm closing in behind them. Morgausse quickly built into the sky, but Aydan was able to go toe to toe with the PC player, eventually building quicker than the mouse user, gaining the upper ground and taking him out. Meanwhile, NICKMERCS and Saint found themselves lower down on the huge structure, editing their way around each other, until finally Kolcheff was able to corner his fellow American, and take him out too. NICKMERCS and Ghost Aydan went on to have a massively impressive Game 5, finishing with nine eliminations. Unfortunately, those nine kills weren’t enough to see them finish above Top 20 in Game 5, however they did finish in an impressive ninth place in the final standings, taking home $26,250 each.

NICKMERCS and SypherPK’s new Fortnite Trios partner revealed Graphics: FaZe Clan, SypherPK, Instagram, Epic GamesFaZe Clan’s Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and Luminosity’s Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan have made yet another change to their competitive Fortnite team, as a brand new trios partner has been revealed. The new player will replace the outbound Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno, who has announced that he will be taking a step back from competitive play moving forward. The trio faced some stern criticism from the game’s online community during their efforts of trying to qualify for Fortnite’s Champion Series, with fans roasting NICKMERCS in particular for some of his plays, although they will be hoping that their new addition will give them a boost. HighDistortion has revealed his exit from SypherPK and NICKMERCS’ Fortnite trios team. It was HighDistortion that broke the news, too. The popular Twitch streamer posted on his official Twitter account on September 9, confirming that his team playing with Sypher and Nick was over – after being replaced by FaZe’s Nate Hill. “Still have a ridiculous cough & sneezing and the most uncomfortably dry eyes ever. Not sure how I made it through 10 hours of FN on Saturday while wearing my contacts. Stream when this passes,” he tweeted, before wishing the best of luck to his successor. He added: “Also, I’m 100% done with competing. PK [and] Nick decided to go play with Nate. Good luck to them!” Still have a ridiculous cough & sneezing and the most uncomfortably dry eyes ever. Not sure how I made it through 10 hours of FN on Saturday while wearing my contacts. Stream when this passes. Also I’m 100% done with competing. PK Nick decided to go play with Nate. GL to them! — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) September 9, 2019 Those who follow the game’s competitive tournaments will know that Nate Hill, alongside his teammate Funk, scooped top spot in KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite tournament on August 2, and his new trios partners will be hoping he will enjoy the same type of success with them in the future. Not only have the team acquired another well-known Fortnite pro player, though, but have also brought a top coach on board as well. Hugh ‘Destiny’ Gilmour, who has worked with World Cup Solos winner Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf in the past, has been called in to help the team as another reinforcement. Whether or not these changes will improve the trio’s performances at the competitive level in the near future remains to be seen.

  • NICKMERCS and DrLupo debate Fortnite aim assist after Ninja says “it shouldn’t be a thing” – Dexerto

NICKMERCS and DrLupo debate Fortnite aim assist after Ninja says “it shouldn’t be a thing” The debate over aim assist in Fortnite for controller players doesn’t seem to be going away, as top streamers NICKMERCS and DrLupo discussed the issue again while playing together. Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, a keyboard and mouse player, and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, a controller player, disagree on the effectiveness or ‘strength’ of aim assist when using a controller. The controversy really began after top Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins argued that players using a controller when playing on PC shouldn’t have aim assist at all, claiming it gives them an advantage. Ninja believes that aim assist just “shouldn’t be a thing”, when playing on PC servers specifically, and that it would be better balanced with all players, regardless of input, on the same footing. NICKMERCS, 100 Thieves member and one of the very best controller players was one of the first to strongly and publicly disagree, saying “Anybody with a brain – they know that controller players, in the grand scheme of things, are at huge disadvantage when it comes to the game of Fortnite.” And he has doubled down on this statement when debating the issue with DrLupo. “You’ve got people like [Ninja] saying it shouldn’t even be a thing, implying that it might be unfair to PC pro players – are you guys fucking insane?!” DrLupo responded by saying that Ninja’s view doesn’t represent the entire PC Fortnite community, but NICKMERCS was unwavering in his argument. “There is a couple of bandwagoners who wave the flag that they think aim assist is so overpowered, that controller players actually have an advantage!” Lupo, still seemingly unconvinced, says he has tried Fortnite on a controller, but Kolcheff said he needs to try it for a few days, “because I’m telling you, it’s not what you guys make it seem.” The 100 Thieves member then pulled up an example of mouse tracking, exclaiming that such movement simply isn’t possible with a controller stick. You can watch NICKMERCS and DrLupo’s full debate on Fortnite aim assist in the video below, starting at the 1:50 minute mark.

  • NickEh30 reveals Fortnite trick to get new Ship Mythic and it’s not what you think – Dexerto

NickEh30 reveals Fortnite trick to get new Ship Mythic and it’s not what you think epic gamesFortnite content creator NickEh30 reveals how you can stock up the new Ship in a Bottle mythic easily by using this trick, which involves going to an unexpected location. The Ship in a Bottle is one of the latest additions introduced with Fortnite’s Pirates of the Caribbean event. At first, it may simply look like a glass jar with some green liquid inside it. But crack it open, and you’ll summon a massive cursed ship that lets you destroy everything in its path – making it really strong against buildings. If you’re lucky, you might even get some easy elims from unfortunate players. While it’s a powerful Mythic to have, getting your hands on one can be extremely hard since you’ll be competing against other players in one particular POI. That said, well-known Fortnite content creator NickEh30 has shared a guaranteed way that lets you get this item. So, the first thing you’ll want to do is land in the snowy area on the island as shown in the clip above. Once you’re there grab some loot in the building, and when you’re finally all set, head outside to a bush. Inside the bush, there’s a hidden Porta Potty you can access to go to a different location. So, switch to your pickaxe and start destroying the bush. By using the Porta Potty, you’ll instantly find yourself in an underground cave-like area. In this location alone, you’ll be able to loot three Ships in a Bottle from different chests. Not to mention, there’s also always a chance you’ll find more. Knowing how to access this place quickly is really handy if you want to stock up on guaranteed Ship in a Bottle Mythic. After all, regardless of how useful this item is, you can only use it one-time for a while before the Ship dissipates. Still, being able to control this ship for one minute while also using your weapon at the same time adds to the fun of the Battle Royale.

  • NickEh30 takes 30-second break from Fortnite stream and this stream sniper pounced – Dexerto

NickEh30 takes 30-second break from Fortnite stream and this stream sniper pounced NickEh30 – known as the family-friendly Fortnite guru – left his stream unattended for 30 seconds only to return to some a not-so-PG stream sniper. A long-time figurehead in the Fortnite community and content machine, NickEh30 is no stranger to stream snipers. In fact, he often encourages his fans to join his lobbies to test out new weapons, items, or vehicles. While generating family-friendly content has been the main goal for Nick, he sometimes likes to blow off steam by attempting to eliminate 100 players in a single attack. He’s run over 100 players with a car, shot 100 players with the iron man laser, and most recently squashed 100 players with the Junk Rift. Of course, keeping it PG doesn’t always go as planned. And when 100 strangers join each lobby, it makes predicting the outcome of each match impossible. NickEh30’s cheeky stream sniper On August 15, Nick posted a clip from his stream to Twitter with the caption, “I left my stream for 30s then guess what happens…” The streamer landed at Rave Cave only to be met with his first stream sniper who Nick gave the task of protecting him while he went to make a Gfuel. However, it only took a few moments for that sniper to be eliminated, only for another stream sniper to come across Nick’s hiding spot. The sniper, wearing the Chun Li Street Fighter skin, built a box around Nick’s character and cleared out the surrounding items before performing the Skii emote. This emote sees the user thrusting their behind backward as if pushing their ski poles to gain momentum. The user then turned their character away so that Nick’s character’s face was positioned directly behind the stream sniper. This went on for several moments before a cackling Nick returned to his gamer station stating, “bruh, what are you doing?” NickEh30 quickly picked up a weapon and disposed of the cheeky stream sniper. It seems Nick’s community also got a hoot out of the incident as the replies to his tweet are filled with laughing emojis. Several viewers also poked fun at Nick stating this wasn’t the family-friendly content they’ve come to expect.

  • NickEh30 Reacts to His First Ever, Incredibly Awkward, Fortnite Win – Dexerto

NickEh30 Reacts to His First Ever, Incredibly Awkward, Fortnite Win YouTuber Nicholas ‘NickEh30’ Amyoony is one of the most popular Fortnite creators around, with over 2 million subscribers and hundreds of thousands of social media followers. In a new video posted by NickEh30, he decided to look back at a less popular, slightly more awkward time when Fortnite was just starting out. The reaction video shows off the early stages of Fortnite back in October of 2017, with a smaller map, only one dance and no Battle Pass. The pre-match load screen was close to a minute and a half long and skydiving took significantly longer. NickEh30 also noticed a change in himself compared to today, as October 2017 NickEh30 was unbelievably excited about the game. In a nice Easter Egg for fans, the old video mentions how one_shot_gurl also plays the game, long before the two would pair up on streams together. “There’s a lot of cool streamers who play this game, like one_shot_gurl, I don’t know if you guys have heard of her. She has a really positive attitude and I like watching her.” NickEh30 couldn’t help but laugh as he watched himself talk about one_shot_gurl back in October, before commenting on what would happen. “So this is before me and [one_shot_gurl] started playing… It’s crazy how [I] mentioned her and lo and behold, [I] started playing with her.” The extended skydive time allowed him to reminissce, but it finally ended and NickEh30 was able to show off even more changes with the game. Traps could only be placed on floors, the old build system was slower and more cumbersome, and Nick himself wasn’t the snapshot he is now. The highlight of the video is towards the end however, as the eliminations pile up and the possibility of a win becomes evident. Memes played a bigger role in his celebrations back then.

  • NickEh30 has an idea for a new Fortnite consumable that would make farming a lot easier – Dexerto

NickEh30 has an idea for a new Fortnite consumable that would make farming a lot easier Fortnite players are always coming up with new ideas of how the game can be improved and this latest concept is one of the most interesting yet. While farming for materials is essential to success in Fortnite at all levels, this is especially true in the competitive scene where players use hundreds of materials in every engagement. YouTuber Nicholas ‘Nick Eh 30’ Amyoony has come up with an idea for an in-game consumable that would shake up the farming meta in a big way if ever implemented into the game. Instead of having to farm for materials the old-fashioned way, Nick’s consumable will allow players to consume every farmable object in a given area by simply tossing the item like a grenade. Idea: Throwable item that you toss at a particular spot, which will then consume every farmable object in that area, and grant you those materials as if you farmed everything there. Rarity: Legendary (Gold) — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) October 18, 2018 Given the manner in which this item would change the way materials are obtained, it’s no surprise that one of the earliest pioneers of building in Fortnite, Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, was quick to weigh in on the potential that the item could allow players to easily gain too many materials. My only fear with this item is that it would basically create the issue that llamas had pre nerf, giving select few people an insane advantage at early stages of the game that some others wouldn’t have. I throw it at a house, gain 600+ mats, then shit on anyone around. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) October 18, 2018 Nick responded to Myth’s concerns quickly, saying that a material cap could put in place to ensure that players don’t end up with too many mats from one use of the item. The response seemed to be a solid one, as the TSM captain responded saying “this would be a really good solution.” While the overall feedback for the item is overwhelming positive given that it’s at 74% “yay” votes after over 15,000 votes at the time of writing, not everyone is keen the idea of a new item. 100 Thieves Fortnite pro Archie ‘Parallax’ Shrader seemed to think that instead of adding in a new item, farming material as a whole should receive a buff. What if… hear me out here, this is crazy. WHAT IF, farming was just increased by a little bit 7.5-10%? — 100T Parallax TwitchCon (@100T_Parallax) October 18, 2018 Whatever route, if any, Epic Games end up taking when it comes to farming, the developer has been known to look at ideas like this very closely and it wouldn’t a surprise to see some changes in the future.

  • ‘NickEh30’ Has Mastered the Art of Sniping From the ATK Passenger Seat in Fortnite – Dexerto

‘NickEh30’ Has Mastered the Art of Sniping From the ATK Passenger Seat in Fortnite The addition of ATKs in Fortnite has turned out to be a good one, as the vehicles have proven popular among the game’s vast player-base. The ATKs have opened the door for players, such as popular YouTuber ‘NickEh30,’ to learn how to pull off a whole new assortment of stunts and trick-shots. In fact, NickEh30 has apparently already mastered the art of sniping from the passenger seat of the vehicles. He has posted a video on his Twitter page which shows him eliminated two enemy players using a sniper rifle, all while riding in the passenger seat of an ATK. It seems that he has the technique down to a science; he first drives the ATK in the direction that he needs it to go, then switches over to the passenger seat and pulls out his sniper rifle to take out his opponents. Perhaps the most impressive part about the whole thing is that he is able to hit these shots while the vehicle is moving at a fast speed, something that is not easy to execute. Apparently this whole “sniping from the passenger seat” routine has gotten too easy for NickEh30, and he’s looking to mix it up in the future. In the tweet that contained the clip, the YouTuber vowed to pull off a much more difficult type of trickshot involving the ATK: …Also, I’m gonna build ramps and place Bouncer Pads on them, drive my ATK up there, bounce off, switch seats, zoom in—HEADSHOT. I’m pulling it off next time!

  • NickEh30 gets Twitch streamer banned for allegedly stream sniping – Dexerto

NickEh30 gets Twitch streamer banned for allegedly stream sniping Epic Games / NickEh30NickEh30’s latest Fortnite tournament was quite a spectacle, but it was tainted by an alleged stream sniper, who was reported and subsequently banned despite maintaining his innocence. [jwplayer uZppK6qI] Nick ‘NickEh30’ Amyoony has been hosting a series of Fortnite tournaments in recent months. The latest one was the NickEh30 Cup. It gave players a chance to compete against some of the game’s biggest names in the scene for a chance to win $10,000. It was all positive for the most part. A lesser-known professional Fortnite player named Crumble managed to impress and take home the prize. However, the tournament was marred with some unfortunate stream sniping drama. In the final match, several other players landed on NickEh30, including a Twitch streamer named ArchieFN. He eliminated NickEh30 and danced on his body for the better part of 30 seconds. NickEh30 was less than impressed and looked disappointed and deflated on stream. It was a stark contrast to his usual upbeat and positive vibe. He was convinced ArchieFN was stream sniping and hopped into the replay mode to report him and a few others. Fortunately, Epic Games responded almost instantly and banned ArchieFN for 24 hours as soon as he returned to the lobby. You can watch a full recap of the incident below and form your own opinion. However, ArchieFN is maintaining his innocence. He claimed he wasn’t stream sniping at all. Instead, he said he wanted to “contest someone who wasn’t a tier-one pro” and decided to land on NickEh30 after seeing him land in the same spot during a previous game. Still, he apologized for what he did and acknowledged that some might find it “scummy.” Sadly, that didn’t stop him from copping a bit of abuse, some of which was needless and extreme. It isn’t too long to wait if he’s innocent, but it’s enough for a wake-up call if he’s guilty. Either way, The NickEh30 was a success despite the stream sniping drama, and a rightful victor was still crowned.

  • NickEh30 accused of cheating in $500k charity Fortnite Streamer Bowl – Dexerto

NickEh30 accused of cheating in $500k charity Fortnite Streamer Bowl Twitter: NickEh30 / TwitchPopular Fortnite streamer NickEh30 has been accused of cheating in the $500,000 Streamer Bowl charity event, and people aren’t happy about it. Teaming alongside Minnesota Vikings Tight End David Morgan, the duo found themselves losing a grasp on the leaders of the pack and not as high in the leaderboards as they might have hoped. Though the event was one for charity and spirits were generally high, even in Nick and Morgan’s camp, there was still a competitive spirit to it, but it seems that spirit got the better of Nick, who couldn’t resist twisting the rules to give his side more of an edge. During the Streamer Bowl, teams were given landing zones that they were allowed to land in, and landing outside said zone was a punishable offense. There was an allotted area around and including Dirty Docks on the easternmost side of the map that teams were allowed to drop in during game 3, but in their pre-game discussion, you can hear Nick discussing landing outside of it with Morgan. “What if we stretch out a little more,” he asks his teammate. “There are no real POIs that are nearby, that’s the only problem. Remember, we only get a warning. We don’t get [inaudible]. It’s not a bad thing.” Taking to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit, many were disappointed or angry to see what was going on, accusing him of cheating, especially because of the fact that it was a charity tournament. One commenter said that it is “pathetic,” and that he used the advantage of landing outside of the zone to sneak up and kill Chap, asking “how fake can you be?” Another said that personalities that base their persona around being super nice are “usually the biggest scumbags.” Naturally, a number of people jumped to Nick’s defense, comparing it to traditional sports where players will purposely take a foul or go down easily to swing things in their favor a little, but these comments bore the brunt of downvotes from other users. Nick and Morgan ended up placing sixth in the Streamer Bowl tournament, sharing a $30,000 prize to donate to a charity of their choice.

  • NickEh30 Demonstrates Easy Trick to Bait Out Enemies From Cover in Fortnite – Dexerto

NickEh30 Demonstrates Easy Trick to Bait Out Enemies From Cover in Fortnite Fighting enemies in Fortnite can sometimes become a drawn out battle of wits, especially in end-game situations. Many players will often choose to stay behind the safety of their builds, essentially turning 1v1 engagements into a chess match or a waiting game. Popular YouTuber ‘NickEh30’ has come up with a neat technique that can help outwit those opponents who choose to hide behind cover. In a video clip that he tweeted out, Nick demonstrated his method to perfection, showing that it be very effective if executed correctly. If you ever want to bait an enemy out from cover, just build a couple ramps upwards. It’s instinct for people to want to shoot it out! If you ever want to bait an enemy out from cover, just build a couple ramps upwards. It’s instinct for people to want to shoot it out! pic.twitter.com/sxKYw8smE9 — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) July 30, 2018 The premise of his method certainly makes sense; inexperienced players will often panic at the sight of multiple ramps being built towards them. Therefore, the first part of the technique should be relatively easy to pull off – the ramps should be built until the opponent begins shooting them down. The next step is where the timing becomes crucial. The ramps must be quickly edited out so to get a clear view of the enemy, and then a quick sniper shot or a couple of hits with an Assault Rifle should get the job done. A little bit of practice should be enough to get the trick down, and it can go a long way to speeding up the process of eliminating players who are hiding behind cover.

  • Nick Eh 30 talks the power of positivity in his gaming career – Dexerto

Nick Eh 30 talks the power of positivity in his gaming career Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony is known as the good guy of gaming. We sat down to talk with him about staying positive, his streaming career, and his main game: Fortnite. One word comes to mind when most people think of popular streamer Nick Eh 30: positivity. The Canadian was among the original crop of streamers to pick up Fortnite and ride it to a major career. Now, Nick has over 2.5 million followers of Twitch and 5.6 million subscribers on YouTube. In an environment that both fosters and rewards toxicity, Nick’s success proves that there’s a void in the market for positivity in streaming and gaming. We sat down to talk with Nick about staying positive, his career, and, of course, the game that helped him catapult himself to streaming fame: Fortnite. Nick Eh 30: Fortnite’s family-friendly streamer. I want to start with a quote from SypherPK: “Going family-friendly in Fortnite as a big streamer – it can make you lose your sanity. And don’t even tell me Nick Eh 30’s pulled it off. I know Nick Eh 30’s losing his sanity. I see it. Every day I see Nick Eh 30 doing a custom where he runs 100 people over with a truck or hulk smashes them. Every day I see that. That’s his way of coping with this BS.” What’s your response to that? First off, I just wanna start by saying that me and SypherPK are amazing friends. We’ve collaborated a lot lately. I think Sypher was just kind of meming, you know, for the banter. He knows I know he’s not being serious. I definitely think that there’s a space for positivity in the space. Sure, I’m staying family-friendly, and that limits who I can collaborate with and all that stuff. But I do feel like there are a lot of younger people out there and people who are being influenced by us so I try to set the best example I can. If anything, being positive helps me become better in life. It makes me excel and want to improve. For example, when I die in Fortnite, I don’t want to just get angry and yell. I want to try to take that moment and learn from it. Don’t get me wrong, I do get upset sometimes. But I always try to look at the positive, clip that moment, break it down, watch it back when my stream ends, and just see what I could’ve done 10 seconds before that or a minute before that. There’s always something you can do. I’ve read that you’ve declined brand deals, collabs, and the like to stay true to your values. Do you think being a family-friendly creator has helped or hurt your streaming career overall? I think there’s a little bit of both. Because I’m staying family-friendly, there are a lot of streamers who won’t necessarily reach out to me or that I’ll hesitate to collaborate with. Don’t get me wrong, I have collaborated with PG-13 streamers. But over the years, I’ve learned that there are parents who trust their kids to watch me or keep up my stream in the family room. I always wanna hold that high-level standard – that professionalism. I want there to be a place for positivity in gaming. It’s not just about being good at a game for me. Community is super important. Does the positivity ever burn you out? Obviously, you’re a big streamer. You get stream sniped. Do you ever just want to cuss out a stream sniper? Heck ya! There are times where I do get frustrated. But I think it’s about balancing your life out. I give the analogy of: if you’re building a house, it’s on four beams. You want to make sure you’re not just being held up by one beam. It’s not just gaming keeping you going. I make sure that I have fitness, my community, my family, my friends – I have all of these different support structures that – if something goes wrong with one, that’s not the end-all-be-all. I also think that who I’ve been playing with recently makes me stay super positive. Nick Eh 30 on physical fitness and gaming You mentioned fitness. Do you think physical fitness makes you a better gamer? Oh, 100% – both physically and mentally. I’ve been going to the gym a lot recently, and even when you’re, for example, doing arms – as you work out your hands get stronger so you’re able to play a lot longer and more consistently. Mentally, it’s a nice little refresh. When you look good you feel good and when you feel good you do good. I’ve noticed that it also helps to get the nervous energy out a little bit. I actually totally forgot to mention that. That’s a really good point. I notice that – especially during tournaments – one of the biggest things is that it doesn’t matter how much I practice, I’m always nervous. Always. One of the things that helps me a lot is just getting that energy out there. Going for a drive, going for a workout, going for a jog – expending that energy so when I come back, I’m nice and mellow and able to focus and hone in on my skill. Nick Eh 30’s dedication to always improving We asked Nick what kept him on Fortnite after all of these years. For him, it’s all about getting better at a game that has one of the highest skill ceilings in the space. People who haven’t followed Fortnite for that long probably don’t know that you were one of the original editors. At one time, you were the best editor in Fortnite. At what point did you notice that other players were missing this huge element of the game? I appreciate that. Honestly, I didn’t even go out to search for the “Edit God” title or anything. I was just streaming every day and playing off-stream. I was doing 12-hour streams seven days a week non-stop and I was just excelling because I was playing it so much because I loved it so much. I’m telling you, just wanting to get better at something is such a motivating factor. And the name just came. I don’t know where it started or anything but I’m just grateful that I have myself cemented in the original beginning of Fortnite history. I’m just thankful for my community for that. What Fortnite creators are you watching right now when you’re not streaming? There are a lot of great ones. I like to support my friends. A lot of people I play with – I like to be in their streams. I’ve been watching SanchoWest, Alixxa, Punisher, FaZe Replays. Also, when it comes down to competitive, I’m always trying to learn. So, I’m watching other top streamers who are super good at competitive like Clix, Bugha – there are a lot of great competitive players. I try not to just watch for enjoyment. I also watch to learn, so I’m taking notes and clipping things. That way I can put it in my editing software, slow it down, and kind of emulate what they’re doing when they building, when they’re tarping – trying to listen for call-outs, that kind of thing. Seeing how they rotate, why they rotate, when they rotate. Stuff like that. So you’re really clipping plays and slowing them down in your editing software? Oh, I literally did a stream a few weeks ago where I saved all of these TikTok clips that I saw of people doing techniques. I went into my software and I’m slowing it down and analyzing what works and what doesn’t. I’ve actually implemented it into my game. People who have watched my streams, in the beginning, know that I’ve learned a lot of really cool stuff from TikTok and other streams. Heck ya! Piece Control Eh 30…in a building! pic.twitter.com/JuI8bc4AaW — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) February 9, 2021 Nick Eh 30’s favorite Fortnite moments Fortnite seasonal preference always seems to be different for players and creators. What’s your least favorite season? I wouldn’t say I have a least favorite season. I have a favorite Fortnite Season, which would probably be (Chapter 1) Season 4. Just because that was the first time that Fortnite had an event. Ever since then, that’s when all of the events started coming, one after the next. It’s when we started to get a story in Fortnite, and it really started to pick up, which I enjoyed. That’s very on-brand not to give me a least-favorite Fortnite season. What’s your favorite Fortnite event? I would probably say that the most memorable one was the Marshmello concert. It was the first of its kind. It had over 10 million concurrent viewers, it broke records, it had great music. I remember vibing-out with SanchoWest. I just love it when I’m reacting with friends. Again, that helps me stay super positive as well – when you’re surrounding yourself with positivity. That goes back to who I like to watch. I love to watch positive streamers and people who are setting a good example because it reflects. It reflects into your mentality and what you say on-stream. If someone’s constantly complaining about a game and saying they don’t like this, you’re subconsciously gonna say, ‘You know what? I don’t like that [either].’ But if it’s always positivity, you have that mentality as well. What are some changes you’d like to see in the next Fortnite season? I think the biggest thing that’s going to keep Fortnite relevant in the long-term – and I think Epic knows this – is Creative. It allows anyone to jump in and do whatever. The big change? Go from 16 players in Creative to 100. Then, you don’t need devs making maps for Battle Royale. It’s the community and self-sustaining. You can catch Nick Eh 30’s Twitch stream nearly every day, along with frequent uploads to his YouTube channel. He’s on Twitter @NickEh30, so follow him there as well. We’re excited to see what’s next for one of Luminosity Gaming’s newest signings. According to Nick, he has some big plans for 2021.

  • NICKMERCS responds to Ninja wanting aim-assist removed from Fortnite – Dexerto

NICKMERCS responds to Ninja wanting aim-assist removed from Fortnite 100 Thieves streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has responded to calls from Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins to remove aim assist for controllers on Fortnite Battle Royale. Ninja was playing solo matches on the popular battle royale franchise, when he was killed by a player using a grey burst rifle from close range. After checking his stream, Blevins discovered that the player was using a controller, and stated that he felt it shouldn’t be part of the game on PC. “Controller auto-aim dude. I totally disagree with it, I don’t think it should be in the game. If you plug in a controller to a PC, have fun, there should be no aim-assist.” NICKMERCS, who regularly plays with a controller, disagreed with Ninja’s sentiment, stating: “Anybody with a brain – they know that controller players, in the grand scheme of things, are at huge disadvantage when it comes to the game of Fortnite. “If you guys think that because of aim-assist and the recent changes to building that we’re now at an advantage? I don’t know, I don’t understand you guys.” Kolcheff believes that if Ninja were to compete in the Fortnite esports scene, he may change his mind, saying: “No offence to [Ninja], he doesn’t play in any of the big tournaments. Maybe he should play a couple tournaments and see what it’s like because it’s just not the same. “The way these pro PC players move and how fast they can do things, there’s only so much we will ever be able to do to keep up with that,” concluded the American. While NICKMERCS believes he is at a disadvantage when using a controller, his incredible skill with the peripheral always sees him place highly at tournaments, with the 100 Thieves member finishing ninth in the Fall Skirmish. There are currently no official plans from Epic Games to remove aim-assist from players who use controller on PC, so Fortnite fans can rest easy knowing they won’t have to make the switch to keyboard and mouse just yet.

  • Nick Eh 30 Suggests a New Fortnite Concept for Finding Building Materials in Chests – Dexerto

Nick Eh 30 Suggests a New Fortnite Concept for Finding Building Materials in Chests @NickEh30Nick Eh 30 has shared an idea for Fortnite Battle Royale that would give players a chance of finding a large stack of material inside a chest. The popular YouTuber prefaced his suggestion by saying that there is a low chance of opening a Gold Scar in a chest, before stating that he would like a similar chance of finding 300 wood, metal, or brick. Nick says that it would be like opening Legendary item – an occurrence that is unlikely but a possibility and something that “you’d have to be lucky to get”. In Fortnite, there’s a chance of a chest dropping a Gold Scar. How about there’s also a chance of a chest dropping 300 wood, or 300 brick, or 300 metal! It’d be like a Legendary item. It’s not a guaranteed drop—you’d have to be lucky to get it, but I think it’d be awesome! — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) July 31, 2018 Due to the building mechanics in Fortnite, finding and collecting the materials required to create forts and bases is of great importance for any player that wants to make it to the late stages of a game. You can harvest building materials from the world around you, which can take a great deal of time depending on where you land, or get really lucky and find a Supply Llama which grants you 200 of each resource. Other than that, your best bet for finding resources is to eliminate another player and hope that they are well stocked. Nick Eh 30’s idea would open up an opportunity to bag yourself a large haul of materials in a matter of seconds, but also add a new aspect of luck and randomness to the chests dotted around the map. FaZe Clan’s SpaceLyon responded to Nick, saying that he likes the idea but that he’d also love to see Epic Games simply increase the amount of materials you get from harvesting by about 25%. I like this idea! I would love for them to just increase the amount of material from farming by 25-30% — FaZe SpaceLyon (@SpaceLyon) July 31, 2018

  • Nick Eh 30 hits out at Clix & “cry baby” fans after FNCS Globals 2024 loss – Dexerto

Nick Eh 30 hits out at Clix & “cry baby” fans after FNCS Globals 2024 loss Twitch / Nick Eh 30 / ClixFortnite legend Nick Eh 30 has called out Clix for being a “boomer” after the pro player failed to win and place high in the $2 million FNCS Global Championships 2024. Clix, one of the most well-known players in the Fortnite competitive scene, fell short by placing 11th with his duo Veno at the FNCS Globals 2024 event on September 8. The pro player, who boasts over 3 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly 8 million followers on Twitch, ended up narrowly missing out on a top 10 placement. To add fuel to the fire, fellow Fortnite creator NickEh30 was seen roasting him over his FNCS loss as he co-streamed the tournament live on Twitch. “Really shows you how Clix is getting really really old bro. Like when you see someone like this, you really see how Clix is becoming an old boomer man. What is Clix? 20 years old now? It’s crazy. It’s just such a different playstyle, so much faster, way more alert,” Nick began. “He’s like 29 in Fortnite years. Unc is old man no wonder he’s not placing in Fortnite competitive tournaments anymore,” he ended his rant, and added, “Unc got that zoomer boomer status it’s like a mix, a little hybrid of the two.” Nick Eh 30 doubled down on his previous comments later on in the stream and explained that they were off the back of a dispute when they previously played together. “I’m tired of these little cry babies trying to turn it into drama,” he started and proceeded to break down what had happened. “I’m making a joke out of a fun lighthearted moment. He mentioned age for me, he called me old like I said he reacted with his friends on stream, he made clips of it, the moment it happened he posted a TikTok even though he said ‘he apologized’.” Nick ended: “He literally made content on it the same day right after the apology, that’s not an apology bro. If you’re really sorry don’t post clips. I’m not mad, I’m just trying to spew the facts as all these little clowns are like ‘He has nothing but nice things to say’.” Despite Nick mocking him for his placement at the FNCS Global Championships 2024, Clix and Veno walked out with a $24,000 share of the total prize pool. On the flipside, his team XSET managed to grab the big win at the Esports World Cup 2024, defeating the majority of Fortnite teams across the world. Days prior to the tournament, on August 19, he also released his own Clix Fortnite bundle featuring various old skins and cosmetics not seen for years.

Epic Games introduced the new Fortnite x TMNT collaboration on February 9, and players have been getting stuck into all the new content and challenges that the Event offers. Some of this new content includes things like the Cowabunga quest, Driftboard vehicle, and new skins like Shredder or Master Splinter, or all of the different Turtle skins. Nick Eh 30 thinks new Fortnite x TMNT weapons are “broken” Streamer Nick Eh 30 shared his feelings on the new Mythic TMNT weapons as he tested them out on his Twitch stream. “The Fortnite Ninja Turtle mythics are broken,” he captioned an X/Twitter clip. Nick Eh 30 absolutely steamrolled through every other opponent he faced in the gameplay and utilized both the speedy mobility and the devastating damage of the new mythics to fight his way to a Victory Royale. “Oh my God!” He exclaimed in one clip, shocked by how quickly the TMNT mythic killed an opponent. Still, his surprise didn’t end there. “This is crazy!” Nick shouted in another clip as he used the mobility mechanic of the Mythic to launch himself hundreds of feet into the air toward an opponent. Despite Nick Eh 30 thinking that the new weapons are broken, for the most part, players have been absolutely loving them, even calling for a separate TMNT game.

NFL star Tyreek Hill’s biggest injury concern is missing Fortnite Tyreek Hill / Epic GamesNFL superstar Tyreek Hill has announced his big concern following his hand injury during his Miami Dolphins game is that he won’t be able to play Fortnite. Fortnite has had a long history of being beloved by a wide range of celebrities and sports stars over the years. From Drake spamming a senior developer’s phone for teasers, Joe Jonas and Travis Scott playing with Ninja to name a few, and Eminem revealed to be coming to the game, it has certainly remained a favorite among the stars. This has proved no different for the National Football League, which aside from a major collaboration with Fortnite in 2020, various football players have shown their love for the Battle Royale since its release. Now, Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill has expressed his biggest concern after injuring his hand during his NFL game on November 19, is missing Fortnite. NFL player’s injury concern is more about missing Fortnite The NFL wide receiver, known as one of the fastest in the league, took questions surrounding his injured hand following the Miami Dolphin’s narrow 20 – 19 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Hill disclosed: “I did do an X-Ray, but it was quick though, one of those quick things and then I got it taped up and I was like I can’t catch like this.” When asked if it was something he would have to manage, he responded: “I think I’ll be fine. The only thing I’m really bummed about is I won’t be able to play Fortnite. That’s the kind of thing I’m bummed about is I won’t be able to play video games.” This was not the first time he has shown his love for Fortnite, where he has been known to occasionally stream Fortnite and post videos via his YouTube channel. Fortnite broke records with its new Chapter 4 Season OG update that led to the game achieving over 44 million players in just one day.

  • NHL Teams Clamp Down on Their Players Mentioning Fortnite – Dexerto

NHL Teams Clamp Down on Their Players Mentioning Fortnite Some teams in the NHL are requiring players to clean up their social media – and not because of risque posts. A tweet by TSN correspondent Rick Westhead revealed that teams within the National Hockey League are asking their players to delete any posts on their social media accounts referencing Fortnite, a massively popular multiplayer battle royale game. Westhead stated that the teams believe the game is a major distraction from players’ training. “An OHL team employee tells me some players have been advised to scrub Fortnite references from social media accounts. Some NHL teams consider the video game a major distraction/obsession.” In an article from the Daily Herald, it was uncovered that teams across the board were asking players about their gaming activities, paying particular attention to Fortnite. An NHL insider likewise told a reporter that a high draft pick for the League would never be chosen due to his obsession with the game. This struck fear in the board, who then made it an effort to discourage excessive gaming for their players. Everett Silvertips player Riley Sutter was cited as stating that some of his fellow teammates were so into the game that they wouldn’t sleep, staying up all night in favor of playing. “There’s definitely some guys around the league, some even on my [junior] team, that are pretty bad for it,” Sutter said. “It takes away from their sleeping and keeps them up late … It’s starting to become a pretty big issue.” The League’s trainers and board members alike are concerned that the game will take away from players’ valuable training time and strict schedules, ultimately affecting their success. Social media scrubbing is one way of removing the game as a potential distraction – at least from the outside.

NFL Player David Bakhtiari Describes What It’s Like Playing Fortnite Alongside Ninja Various professional athletes have expressed their love for Fortnite: Battle Royale in a collection of ways since its release in 2017. Although they may live vastly different lives than many within the gaming community, some professional athletes have been historically been known to be avid fans of video games and other digital content. Some athletes have created friendships with top-level streamers and entertainers within the gaming world, which has been incredibly prevalent alongside the success of Fortnite: Battle Royale. One such streamer is Ninja, a personality who many consider the ‘face of Twitch,’ and has been able to play alongside the likes of various athletes and celebrities for hundreds of thousands of viewers at a time. When in Los Angeles, California for the ESPY’s Award Show for honoring players, teams, and moments in the traditional sports world, Ninja had the opportunity to get some Fortnite games in with various athletes. After playing with Green Bay Packers Offensive LIneman David Bakhtiari, the NFL player went on to mention how playing with Ninja was like playing ‘Grand Theft Auto with all the cheat codeas and five-stars.’ Well that was fun. “How’d it feel playing with @Ninja?” You may ask: Basically like playing GTA with all the cheat codes in and 5 Stars. #4inarow #assistman #HackSawRidge #JohnStockton — David Bakhtiari (@DBak69) July 18, 2018 Fortnite and Ninja show no signs of going stagnant anytime soon at the time of writing, with the game and streamer both continuing to break records, along with growing on a daily basis. • UPDATE – NFL announces that customization and more in-game items are coming to Fortnite, not just uniforms – Dexerto

UPDATE – NFL announces that customization and more in-game items are coming to Fortnite, not just uniforms More details have been revealed about the massive partnership that has been brokered between Fortnite developers Epic Games and the National Football League. Earlier on November 5, Epic Games and the NFL revealed a collaborative project that will bring official team uniforms into the world of Fortnite Battle Royale. All of 32 NFL team jerseys will be turned into an in-game outfit skin, any of which will be available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop starting November 9 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. Since then, the NFL has put out a press release declaring that in-game uniform skins will not be the only NFL-themed items coming to Fortnite. “In addition to NFL team outfits, there will be football-themed emotes, harvesting tools, gliders, and even a referee outfit, so players can bring their passion for football into Fortnite.” This is massive news in the wake of the initial announcement, since it indicates that the partnership between Epic and the NFL is slated to be a prominent one. Furthermore, there will also be thorough customization options available for the players who purchase the NFL uniform skins. Anyone who owns one of the in-game jerseys will be able to choose which team they want to represent and the number that they want to appear on the back (0-99), and both options will be available to players at all times. This means that users can change the team and jersey number of their uniform skin as many times as they want, which is an unprecedented level of customization offered for a single cosmetic item in Fortnite. It appears that the only aspect of these skins that will not be customizable is the gender, which players will have to pick when they first purchase the skin.

  • NFL player celebrates first career touchdown with Fortnite dance – Dexerto

NFL player celebrates first career touchdown with Fortnite dance Epic GamesThe Indianapolis Colts’ Nyheim Hines celebrated his first touchdown in his NFL career with a dance from a Fortnite emote. Hines scored the touchdown during his team’s second game against the Washington Redskins. Upon reaching this first major milestone in his career, Hines broke out into Fortnite’s ‘Orange Justice’ dance on the field, before being surrounded by his cheering teammates. The Orange Justice emote was inspired by the now-famous ‘Orange Shirt Kid,’ who submitted the dance into Epic Games’ Boogiedown contest. The contest allowed fans to submit dances of their own creation for consideration, with the winner’s moves created as an official emote in Fortnite. Orange Shirt Kid didn’t end up making the cut, much to fans’ dismay. Outcry quickly grew within the Fortnite community, and Epic finally heard them out: Orange Shirt Kid’s dance is now in the game as ‘Orange Justice,’ as the community popularized the phrase, ‘Justice for Orange Shirt Kid.’ It seems that Hines isn’t the only member of the Colts to make Fortnite references during a game, either. Tight end Eric Ebron was ‘revived’ by his team after scoring a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2018 NFL season opener. He crawled on his hands and knees, mimicking Fortnite’s dizzy action, after which his teammates ‘revived’ him. He then broke into the game’s ‘Hype’ emote, famously taken from Blocboy JB’s ‘Shoot’ dance. While the Colts openly express their love for the game, the NHL has a different stance on the title, asking its players to scrub any mention of Fortnite from their social media. There’s never a bad time for a Fortnite dance-off, though – and the Colts sure know how to have a good time.

  • Neymar skin in Fortnite? Football star teases massive collab for Season 6 – Dexerto

Neymar skin in Fortnite? Football star teases massive collab for Season 6 Puma / Fortnite BrazilWith teases from Neymar, Fortnite Brazil and Epic Games’ official Fortnite account, it seems that a collaboration themed around the PSG & Brazil soccer star could be coming to the battle royale in Season 6. As players eagerly anticipate hints at the content coming in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 6, Epic Games have dropped another major teaser — and eagle-eyed fans were quick to recognize some clues. In the new clip, Jonesy is heard speaking about how much he has given up for the Order (as mentioned in the caption as well), which doesn’t say much about collaborative content. But, in the miscellaneous imagery overlaid, players have spotted cues that Neymar could be joining the fold. These first clues were then corroborated extensively, as Neymar and Fortnite Brazil’s Twitter accounts have also gotten in on the action. With all three accounts all playing along, fans are growing increasingly confident that skin for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar should be on the schedule for Season 6. Latest Fortnite Season 6 teaser He’s given everything to the Order… and for what? 3.16.2021. #FortniteSeason6 pic.twitter.com/vP0tZytkaU — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) March 13, 2021 If you look closely at some of the imagery overlaid upon the latest teaser, you can easily spot what looks like a No. 10 jersey and a football (the non-American kind). This connection was immediately explored by fans and can be easily shown with some comparison pictures. Additionally, Fortnite Brazil’s account changed their profile picture to one of Fortnite’s llamas briefly — but with a twist, as it donned a mohawk akin to the Brazilian footballer’s former hairdo. (Also, note the football pitch involved in their tweet.) Neymar teases Fortnite Season 6 skin Neymar has also teased that these teasers involve him, as the superstar simply tweeted out the eyes emoji to his 52-plus million followers on Twitter. In response, the game’s account replied with a casual “Shh…” Following one of the most extensive periods of Fortnite collaborations, Neymar-inspired content would be no surprise in the item shop. Over the past year, the battle royale has worked to implement content from Marvel Comics, Travis Scott’s Astronomical tour, Alien and, most recently, a specific Ant-Man collection. On Neymar’s end, the footballer is already well-known as a serious gamer. Although his Fortnite skills may not be as renowned as his abilities in CS:GO, the PSG star is casually involved in gaming already. This Fortnite collaboration was already believable, but now seems altogether likely given all the recent teasers.

  • Next Fortnite season with Fallout crossover sends players into a frenzy – Dexerto

Next Fortnite season with Fallout crossover sends players into a frenzy FortniteAccording to the most recent announcement from the official Fortnite social media posts, Chapter 5 Season 3 will feature the Fallout universe. The world of Fallout has been at the forefront of gaming lately, with the release of the Fallout show from Amazon Prime Video and the Fallout 4 next-gen update that came out in May 2024. Now the same frenzy of Fallout lands in Fortnite as the official X post features the cover image for Chapter 5 Season 3 which is themed after Fallout. According to the in-game news feed, “Courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steel. Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked comes to Battle Royale on May 24.” The key art for the upcoming Fortnite season features a new Fallout-themed Desert biome and a new industrial POI, with Palm Trees scattered around the map. Also featured in the image behind the new POI is an outline of a Knight from Fallout. These large suits of armor are known as Knights and can withstand radiation and other terrors on the surface. Both Fallout fans and Fortnite players were hyped to see the official key art for Season 3. One such fan said, “Fallout baby, let’s go!” Even the Walmart account chimed with the lyrics of “I Don’t Want To Set The World On Fire” by The Ink Spots, as featured in the Amazon Prime series. To further the idea that Fallout will be the next season’s theme, the official Fortnite account added a smiley face with a thumbs-up emoji to the announcement, something Fallout fans are all too familiar with thanks to Vault Tech’s Vault Boy mascot. As Fortnite wraps up its Greek mythology-themed season, multiple mini-events have taken place over the last week to build up to the new season. This includes one event in which the statue at Mount Olympus shot a lightning bolt into the air, causing a sandstorm to appear and begin approaching the map. That sandstorm has been sending out Morse Code messages for the past few days, saying things like “No Hope.”

  • Next Fortnite Starter Pack Featuring ‘The Ace’ Skin Could Be Coming Very Soon [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Next Fortnite Starter Pack Featuring ‘The Ace’ Skin Could Be Coming Very Soon [UPDATED] UPDATE: It appears that the next Fortnite Starter Pack will indeed be available on August 28 as it has already begun appearing in the Playstation Store in various regions and countries, including the United Arab Emirates. The next Fortnite Starter Pack featuring ‘The Ace’ skin could be made available in-game very soon. This next Starter Pack will be the third ever in Fortnite, and will include a total of two cosmetic items as well as some V-Bucks. It was revealed that ‘The Ace’ skin would be the feature item in the upcoming Starter Pack when it was leaked following the v5.30 Update last week. In addition to the Epic skin, the set will also include an Epic back bling called ‘Swag Bag’ and 600 V-Bucks. Both cosmetic items can be seen below. The price for this Starter Pack is expected to be $4.99, which has been the price of the previous two. All signs point to this pack being available very soon since Epic Games has announced that August 27 will be the last day that players can purchase the current Wingman Starter Pack. With the current Starter Pack set to get removed from the store on the same day that the v5.30 Content Update is scheduled to go live, it would be safe to assume that the next pack will be coming sooner rather than later. Furthermore, the Wingman pack was released in Week 7 of Season 4, which makes it even more reasonable to expect ‘that The Ace’ will released at the same point this Season, which happens to be this current week.

  • Next Fortnite Rift Beacon leaked – Fan favorite location set for return? – Dexerto

Next Fortnite Rift Beacon leaked – Fan favorite location set for return? Graphics: Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale players will soon be welcoming back one of the most popular locations back into the game in Season 10, if potentially leaked information is to be believed. Epic Games were always going to make a whole host of map changes throughout their landmark tenth season, with many fans wanting to see some of the original landmarks reappear, and they have partially met those expectations. With the return of Dusty Depot included in the v10.00 patch and Retail Row coming back in the v10.10 content update, more returning points of interest could be on the cards. Following up on a previous leak that suggested Risky Reels, Anarchy Acres, Greasy Grove, and even Moisty Mire could be coming back soon, a new piece of leaked information revealed by dataminer FortTory appears to have narrowed that scope down to just one. The Fortnite leaker, who is known by members of the game’s online community as a pretty reliable source, claims to have found an interesting development in the Greasy Grove data files once again – following the game’s latest update – with the inclusion of “Rift” being discovered. RiftBeacon is getting mentioned in the files for the Frozen Greasy POI! A rift beacon will be getting placed there! Greasy Grove coming back? pic.twitter.com/ukY6nywdqd — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 27, 2019 Those that have been following the change in locations across the map during the course of the season will be well aware that the presence of a Rift Beacon almost confirms that a change will occur wherever it appears. FortTory has predicted that the Rift Beacon will be moved to the currently iced over, former Greasy Grove site, which may lead to the location becoming active once again, after being removed at the beginning of Season 7 when the ice biome was born. Whether Epic Games have plans in place to bring back the home of the original Fortnite burger restaurant or not remains to be seen. At the time of writing though, the likelihood of it happening appears to be growing with every single leak.

  • Next 2 stages of Fortnite map changes leaked ahead of Risky Reels event – Dexerto

Next 2 stages of Fortnite map changes leaked ahead of Risky Reels event Something is brewing in Fortnite Chapter 2 and all indications are that it will be some sort of in-game event called ‘Galileo’ to take place at Risky Reels. In-game events have become spectacles of sorts in Fortnite Battle Royale, as Epic Games have used them to kickstart new seasons, introduce map changes, or celebrate certain occasions. There haven’t been any so far in Chapter 2, but it looks like that’s going to change real soon as data miners found and leaked details about an upcoming event codenamed ‘Galileo,’ following the most recent v11.21 update. Now, more back-end files have been discovered, this time showing the next two phases of map changes that will be taking place at Risky Reels, presumably in preparation for this Galileo event. Read More: Fortnite v11.21 update patch notes – The video below, courtesy of prominent Fortnite data miner ‘FortTory‘ shows what changes will be made to the POI over the next few updates. Leaks indicate Risky Reels will be dug up In its current state, Risky Reels is still full of cars parked in the main space located in front of the large drive-in movie screen. However, according to the leak, those cars will soon be moved to the side to make room for large construction vehicles such as cranes and bulldozers. The update that follows that will add several large circles of construction cones at several points in the area. While the subsequent map changes have not been leaked yet, it’s probably safe to assume that those cone-surrounded areas will likely be dug up for whatever Epic are planning on doing with Risky. What’s going to happen during Galileo event in Fortnite? Unfortunately, nothing concrete has been found in the game files yet in regards to what will actually be happening once this event kicks off. Most data miners believe that it will involve something playing on the big movie screen on January 1, 2020, which suggests that it could be in celebration of the new year. Regardless, knowing how extravagant Epic can be with these in-game events, it will likely be worth turning on the game for, especially considering how barren Chapter 2 has been so far in terms of new content. For more information about this in-game event and all of the leaks so far, make sure to visit our Risky Reels Galileo event info hub.

  • Next Fortnite creation at The Block will be an incredible looking Street Festival, according to leaks – Dexerto

Next Fortnite creation at The Block will be an incredible looking Street Festival, according to leaks Epic GamesFortnite found an incredible way to integrate fan creations into the main battle royale with the Block, and now the point of interest will get a festive makeover as seen in a first look for the coming update. Epic Games added The Block to the 100-person shooter on December 7, and has since featured seven incredible designs made by members of the community. In a leak, the file name and a few images tied to The Block’s latest rendition suggest that players will be able to take part in a point of interest themed after a Street Festival. The leak shows a basic render of the small town that seems to take after Chinese influences in both the architecture and the layout of the small town. Assets for the Street Festival also leaked, which gives players a look at what they can expect in terms of materials to farm as well as buildings with possible Chests to find. The new look for The Block will feature a tiered design with two small areas mirroring each other positioned on the ground level which leads up to a large, gated building. Although there is no word on when the new location will be put into Fortnite, the addition would presumably be coming just in time for the Chinese New Year on February 5. Fortnite typically changes the block with every update, so fans might see this map on the next rotation very soon.

  • Newbee accused of stealing $100k from Fortnite World Cup players – Dexerto

Newbee accused of stealing $100k from Fortnite World Cup players Epic Games / NewbeeChinese esports organization Newbee has been accused of stealing over $100,000 of prize money from its Fortnite World Cup players. The Fortnite World Cup took place in 2019 and guaranteed every participant at least $50,000 each just for qualifying, but it is now being reported that Newbee’s representatives at the tournament didn’t see a single dollar of that prize money — and potentially more. Rhidax, who coaches Fortnite players in the EU and Asia regions, tweeted on July 21 about the situation that developed at Newbee both in Fortnite and their wider esports ownership. Rhidax opened by stating that the organization’s Dota 2 team has disbanded over match-fixing allegations in the Chinese Dota 2 professional league, before accusing the org of “trapping their players in contracts” and “stealing all Fortnite prize money since World Cup.” As Rhidax notes, this also could explain why Newbee’s Fortnite World Cup duo — XXM and Xmende — quit the game completely immediately following the record-breaking tournament. This also explains the whole “”why did 2 World Cup qualifiers quit the game immediately”” situation, I wouldn’t play if I just had 50k stolen from me. Reminder, these are literal TEENAGERS. pic.twitter.com/1GKuEx3eQQ — Rhidax (@rhidax_) July 21, 2020 In a follow-up tweet, Rhidax even provided screenshots of text message conversations he had with various parties, including one in which he asks a “trusted source” whether the two players ever got their prize money. “No,” they responded. “It’s all been swallowed by the organization. They can’t even beat them in a lawsuit.” Photo 1 and 2 are screenshots with WenQian, who had over 10k stolen from him. 3 is from a trusted source close to the players, name has been blurred out. pic.twitter.com/jd63I8YKdn — Rhidax (@rhidax_) July 21, 2020 Rhidax also went on to tell fellow coach and analyst DestinysJesus that he would “be surprised if there’s an org that’s scammed more than this in Fortnite.” Be surprised if there’s an org that’s scammed more than this in Fortnite — Rhidax (@rhidax_) July 21, 2020 How much truth is in these accusation remains a question, as the organization have yet to comment or respond, having not posted on their social media accounts since February 2020. Newbee established itself as a world-caliber organization with frequent attendance at Dota 2’s annual The International tournament, including winning it in 2014. If these allegations turn out to be true, there will likely be investigations into the team’s conduct over recent years to figure out whether this is an ongoing issue or a one-off.

  • New World Record set for Solo vs Duo eliminations in Fortnite – Dexerto

New World Record set for Solo vs Duo eliminations in Fortnite A French player has destroyed the previous record of 31 for Solo vs Duo in Fortnite. Payamz has recorded 35 kills in a Solo vs Duo match to set a new World Record. The previous record was held by two players, with Teeqzy and Xewer tying at 31. The record setting performance was uploaded to YouTube for everyone to verify. Payamz started slow but went on a streak in Tilted Towers to run his numbers up. As the match went on, he started to pick up the majority of the eliminations on remaining players. He even felt the number could have been higher, explaining he thought that three eliminations got away from him in the beginning of the match. Still, 35 is good enough to leap over the previous record holders. The previous record holder Teeqsy has become a fixture on the Fortnite competitive circuit, playing in multiple Skirmishes for professional side Millenium. Payamz is a relative unknown in the world of content creation and comp Fortnite, but his record setting performance will surely turn some heads. Early into the release of Fortnite, Starter packs were introduced to the store to give fans a set of cosmetic items and some V-bucks to start off their collection. Following leaks from the v12.50 update, a new starter pack bundle has been found, and is expected to release soon. Although they are titled as ‘Starter Packs,’ there is nothing stopping players who have purchased one in a previous season from picking up the new set as well. The newly leaked set was revealed by reliable leaker iFireMonkey, who shared a look at the new “Yellow Jacket” collection, featuring a new pickaxe, character skin, and 600 Vbucks. While it was not visible in the leak, the starter pack is also rumored to include some new back bling for Fortnite fans as well. As of now, there is no exact date on when it will be released, although Epic Games usually updates the store with a new starter pack every season, with Season 3 set to start on June 4.

  • New Victory Royale Screen Concept in Fortnite Looks Amazing – Dexerto

New Victory Royale Screen Concept in Fortnite Looks Amazing There is nothing that quite compares to the excitement of getting a match win in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Whether playing alone or with others, there is a special thrill in getting the final elimination and seeing the giant, animated “Victory Royale” pop up on the screen. However, the end-game screen after a victory has largely remained the same since the game’s release, with the exception of players being able to do emotes and dances for a short period of time after winning a match. 3D animator and Reddit user ‘SamiGlitch’ has made s new Victory Royale screen concept that not only looks incredible, but would add a lot more features to the current version that exists in-game. With Epic Games having shown that they are not one to shy away from using players’ ideas in-game, this new Victory Royale screen could see its way into Fortnite in the future.

New vampire skins could be coming soon to Fortnite New items found in the game files of Fortnite Battle Royale hint at vampire-themed cosmetic items coming to the game. With the recent release of the v6.10 update in Fortnite, as is usually the case after every update, data miners have scoured new game files to find and leak upcoming cosmetic items. While most of the skins and other items they found have already been leaked, a new file suggests that at least one vampire skin could be added to the game soon. According to the files, the new skin would be a male vampire called ‘Sanctum’ and would come with a back-bling item called ‘Coven Cape.’ As of now, there are not yet any image files for these cosmetic items, only the text coding found in the game files. If this skin is in fact to be added to Fortnite, it would not be the first vampire-themed skin in the game. Tier 71 of the current Season 6 battle pass offers a skin called ‘Dusk,’ a female character that is officially part of the Nite Coven set. Presumably, Sanctum and its Coven Cape would also be a part of the same set and essentially be the male version of Dusk.

  • All-new Tactical Assault Rifle coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

All-new Tactical Assault Rifle coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale Epic Games has finally confirmed that a brand new tactical assault rifle will be added to Fortnite Battle Royale during Season 9, after weeks of speculation. A variety of surprising changes were made in the v9.00 update, including the decision to vault the pump shotgun and replace it with a brand-new combat version of the widely loved gun, as well as brand new futuristic looks for Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Various items such as clingers, buried treasure chests, and balloons were also added to the vault as well as two rifles – the suppressed assault rifle and the thermal assault rifles. Tactical Assault Rifle coming soon Nevertheless, after leakers first revealed that a new weapon was in the works on May 9, the game’s developer has now added a brand-new rifle to the in-game news feed in Fortnite Battle Royale – the tactical assault rifle. While it may not have the silenced capabilities of the suppressed rifle, the image suggest it will be scoped like the thermal, making long-distance targets easier to hit. According to StormShieldOne, the gun will be available in three rarities – rare, legendary and epic. The damage of the gun is expected to be 22/23/24 and the magazine size is rumored to be 30 bullets. Unlike other rifles, the weapon will use light ammunition and the legendary variant takes just 1.98 seconds to reload. Given the strength of other weapons such as the heavy assault rifle, it remains to be seen whether the new weapon will be viable for players looking to secure a spot in the Fortnite World Cup. Following the recent reintroduction of the drum gun, one of the most powerful weapons in Fortnite history, it’s hard to see top players finding space in their loadout for the new addition. But, it could surprise us!

  • New Stim-Gun concept would allow players to heal over long distances in Fortnite – Dexerto

New Stim-Gun concept would allow players to heal over long distances in Fortnite Jmzofficial / Epic GamesReddit user ‘jmzofficial’ has created a new concept around a so-called ‘Stim-gun,’ which would allow teammates to be healed over long distances in Fortnite. The gun would operate much like the game’s Grappler, holding a limited number of charges until it runs out of uses. Jmzofficial stated that the concept item would carry a number of 5 uses in total before it would automatically be dropped from a player’s inventory. He stated that the purpose of the gun would be for “the ranged healing of teammates, if they’re in a bad situation.” That could prove incredibly useful in Fortnite, which doesn’t yet feature such a method. He likewise mentioned that self-healing would be a major perk of the gun, and that it would recover 20 health points per use. He also discussed the possibility of the gun having an AOE (area of effect) use. This way, if a shot were to miss, it would still heal a teammate as long they were standing with a certain radius of the missed healing round. The gun could even introduce an interesting ‘medic’ role to Fortnite, much in the style of Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch. Jmz appeared to take a liking to that concept, stating that it could make the popular 50v50 Limited Time Mode, “a lot more fun.” Read More: When is the new Port-a-Fortress coming to Fortnite? Date and time announced for v5.41 update – In addition, he made sure to note that the gun wouldn’t be able to be used on enemies. Thus, if players happened to misfire, there would be no chance for the stray shot to accidentally heal enemy players. Although there is no hint of this type of item coming to Fortnite anytime soon, it could end up being a possibility, as Epic Games have been known to take inspiration from online concepts in the past.

  • New ‘snaking’ technique in Fortnite shown by Tfue and NickEh30 makes it impossible to be shot – Dexerto

New ‘snaking’ technique in Fortnite shown by Tfue and NickEh30 makes it impossible to be shot A building exploit in Fortnite that allows players to completely avoid being shot while moving has been discovered and shown by streamers Tfue and NickEh30. The technique called ‘snaking’ involved building through a basic wall structure, which looks as though it is unintended, but has seemingly gone unnoticed by Epic Games for some time now. As Tfue shows, by approaching the central area of the wall he is able to place more walls on the other side – without exposing any part of his character to incoming fire. The exploit is doable with any material, not just brick, so metal and wood can also be used to the same effect. Again, it is not clear whether this is an intentional feature or not, as it possible to build through other structures such as pyramids. As YouTuber and streamer NickEh30 shows, there are numerous ways to build using this ‘snaking’ technique, in order to completely protect yourself from being shot at. NickEh30 explains that these are fairly “advanced” manoeuvres, and so for a new player it is probably best to just stick the the basics, to avoid being potentially fatal errors. However, once you are a skilled builder, these tips could come in incredibly useful, especially when in a hurry to escape the storm but also avoid being shot in the process, or if an enemy has a positional advantage on you. As for the exploit which Tfue shows, it has been known about for almost a month, and is yet to be addressed by Epic. This either means that it is intended, or it simply hasn’t come to their attention yet.

  • New ‘Sneaky Snowman’ Fortnite consumable may be coming soon, according to leaks – Dexerto

New ‘Sneaky Snowman’ Fortnite consumable may be coming soon, according to leaks New leaks have surfaced that point to a brand new consumable item called ‘Sneaky Snowman’ coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale. Data miners have found and leaked game files that reveal the Sneaky Snowman to be a portable disguise item that would allow players to hide in plain sight and blend in with the rest of the snowy areas on the map. Essentially, the premise of this item would be very similar to that of the Bush item that’s currently in Fortnite which also allows players to disguise themselves as a bush on the map. The leak comes courtesy of prominent data miner Lucas7yoshi and includes a stock image of the item as well as the in-game description: “A portable Snowman disguise.” Sneaky Snowman Consumable “”Sneaky Snowman”” “”A portable Snowman disguise””so its literally bush 2.0? pic.twitter.com/2yusMWnjBy — Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite News & Leaks (@lucas7yoshi_) January 15, 2019 Since the Bush item already exists in the game and this seems to be a very similar item to it, it would be likely that the Sneaky Snowman will simply be a temporary reskin of the Bush for the rest of the duration of the snow being on the map. Epic Games have done seasonal reskins of weapons and items before, most recently with the Rocket Launcher shooting out exploding pumpkins rather than missiles during the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event. The only sensible scenario in which both the Sneaky Snowman and the Bush item would be in the game as separate items would be if Epic decide to keep the southwest corner of the map covered in snow on a permanent basis. Regardless, Epic will not want to make this new item too similar in function to the Bush because the latter virtually never gets used by a vast majority of the player-base. However, the developers have hinted at major improvements coming soon to the Bush, which could also apply to the Sneaky Snowman, making them both viable items going forward. Of course, this leak is unofficial and should be treated as mere speculation until it’s officially confirmed by Epic. If and when this item will be added to the game remains to be seen.

  • New Skull Trooper event in Fortnite will help players earn Ghost Portal back bling faster – Dexerto

New Skull Trooper event in Fortnite will help players earn Ghost Portal back bling faster Epic Games has just introduced a new way to earn the coveted Ghost Portal back bling in Fortnite, and it’s quicker than ever. With the Skull Trooper coming back to the Fortnite Item Shop this week with much fanfare, some fans were less than thrilled to see what they’d need to do in order to unlock the Ghost Portal back bling. The awesome looking accessory could previously only be gained through a series of challenges that aren’t for the faint of heart, which has caused Epic to make some changes to how it’s obtained. Rather than needing to open 10 chests in a single game, among some of the other difficult challenge steps, an event will take place this weekend that will allow players to unlock the item by simply finishing 20 matches. Players will have to fully complete the matches and cannot just queue in and quit out., which means that they would either have to get the Victory Royale or get eliminated. The event will kick off October 12 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET and run through October 14 at 8:59 PT / 11:59 ET. Upon completion of the matches, players will receive the back bling and the challenges will then auto-complete next week. Epic’s latest move is yet another example of the company’s willingness to prioritize community feedback and change things on the fly to keep the gaming experience of Fortnite fun and fresh. However, this does mean that the Ghost Portal back bling will become a lot more common that it likely would have been without this event.

  • New Scoped AR and Slug Shotgun leaked for Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto

New Scoped AR and Slug Shotgun leaked for Fortnite Season 2 Epic GamesThe v12.10 update for Fortnite has introduced two new weapons to the files, first discovered by data miners when the patch went live. A new Scoped AR and a new Slug Shotgun could be coming soon. We’ve had scoped assault rifles in the past for the game’s Battle Royale mode, but this one has a slight twist. This would also the first time we’ve seen a shotgun with slug rounds, too. The new Legendary variant of the Scoped AR has got a visual upgrade from the previous version. It’s also a burst fire weapon, as opposed to fully-automatic or semi-automatic. Previously, the Scoped AR was only available in Uncommon and Rare variants, after its Epic variant was vaulted in Season 7. It was then vaulted completely at the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, in the v11.0 update. However, during its time away, Epic appear to have been working on a new version. Added to the game files on March 3, the new Scoped AR is a “burst-fire tactical assault rifle with a scope.” The Legendary variant also has a new, more aggressive shape, and is sure to unload a lot of firepower. The leak was revealed by data miner, HYPEX, as seen below. NEW SCOPED AR ADDED! more info about it later! pic.twitter.com/wbYHykEgaq — HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 3, 2020 Leaked Slug Shotgun In addition to the Scoped AR, another weapon was also added to the game files, believed to be for Battle Royale. Another shotgun in fact, but with a significant difference to every other shotty in the game. This one will use slug rounds, according to the weapon’s description: “Pump shotgun with a large magazine. Fires slugs for medium-range effectiveness.” Aesthetically, it looks virtually identical to the regular Heavy Shotgun. As it’s just a leak, this could change before the weapon is officially introduced to the game. new “”work in progress?”” weapon got added too.. codename: “”Shotgun_SlugFire”” pic.twitter.com/oiR8zV6Uv2— HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 3, 2020 New Save the World Weapons In addition to the battle royale mode, Save the World also received an arsenal of new weapons in the v12.10 update. There’s no indication when these two new weapons will be added to Fortnite’s BR mode, so we’ll have to wait on an official announcement from Epic Games. We should expect them in the next few weeks, however, given the usual quick turnaround for new items once they are added to the game files.

  • New Secret Codes Found in Fortnite Reveal Potential Target for the Rocket – Dexerto

New Secret Codes Found in Fortnite Reveal Potential Target for the Rocket TwoEpicBuddiesIt appears that the usual hype preceding the end of a Season in Fortnite: Battle Royale is back in full force. Just as with the weeks leading up to the highly anticipated meteor strike at the end of Season 3, there is once again a flurry of in-game activity as Season 4 draws closer to its end. This time around, the leaks, rumors, and predictions floating around the game’s vast player-base is that the end of the Season will revolve around the large Rocket that is located in the Villain’s Lair that is inside of a hill just outside of Snobby Shores. To further figure out what exactly will be happening in two weeks’ time, notorious Fortnite data miners ‘TwoEpicBuddies’ have uncovered audio files for the Rocket that reveal some additional major clues. When the audio of the rocket is looked at through a spectrometer, an image is generated that contains codes made up of these binary numbers : 0B0110 0B1001 0B100 0B1001 Binary Codes Found in the Rocket Audio Files When translated, these numbers in fact are coordinates that can be found on the actual Fortnite map: B6, H9, I8, I9 The first coordinate points to what is the highest hill that can be found on the map, and the other three coordinates are that of the location known as Moisty Mire, which is a remote swamp area that was turned into a move filming set at the start of Season 4. Location of Moisty Mire on the Fortnite Map If Moisty Mire is indeed the target for the Rocket in Fortnite, then it would fall perfectly in line with the heavy rumors and leaks that came out at the start of Season 4, which claimed that the location would end up being destroyed at some point during the Season. However, all of this should be treated as speculation until any official confirmations or announcements are made by Epic Games.

  • New PS Plus Fortnite Point Patroller Recon Strike cosmetic bundle leaked – Dexerto

New PS Plus Fortnite Point Patroller Recon Strike cosmetic bundle leaked Epic GamesA brand new Playstation Plus exclusive skin and back bling has been uncovered by Fortnite leakers – keeping with the blue and white color scheme of other PS Plus exclusives. For many players, Fortnite is all about proving that you’re a top dog in the battle royale scene by picking up as many kills, victory royales, and records as you can. Though, for others, it is all about standing out from the crowd. Plenty of players like to amass a wide collection of cosmetics – be they skins, harvesting tools, back blings, sprays, or emotes – so that they can show how big of a Fortnite fan they are. Some cosmetics are pretty rare, either because they’ve not been in the item shop for so long or because you had to be at an event to get them. Though, Playstation players can also claim exclusive skins. There have been a handful of PS Plus-only cosmetic sets including the Trilogy Outfit and Celebration Pack, and fans are always looking to get their hands on more. According to renowned Fortnite data miner FortTory, it looks like they’ll be able to get another set soon enough. On April 13, the data miner revealed there is a new blue and white-themed skin called Point Patroller in the game’s files. Accompanying the skin is an exclusive back bling called Recon Strike – again complete with a blue, white, and black color scheme. The back bling also has a small radio and set of grenades attached to it, giving the cosmetics some additional detail. Two paks just got decrypted with these two cosmetics! pic.twitter.com/M6VFPMWFO0 — FortTory – Fortnite leaks & news (@FortTory) April 13, 2020 The Playstation Plus bundles have been free to PS Plus subscribers in the past, though, it is not yet confirmed as to whether or not players will be grabbing this set for free or shelling out some V-Bucks. Sadly, there is no release date just yet for the leaked cosmetics so players could be in for a little bit of a wait. We’ll just have to wait and see as to what Epic and Sony do.

  • New “rarest skin in Fortnite” hasn’t appeared in the Item Shop for over a year – Dexerto

New “rarest skin in Fortnite” hasn’t appeared in the Item Shop for over a year A new cosmetic item holds the distinguished title of “rarest skin in Fortnite,” and it’s one that many have probably never seen or heard of. The Recon Expert outfit skin can now officially be considered as the rarest skin because it has now been absent from the Item Shop for 365 days. The last time the Recon Expert was available for purchase was November 11, 2017, less than two months after the popular battle royale mode of Fortnite went live. No other cosmetic skin that was originally available for purchase has gone this long without being featured in the Item Shop again. Being a Rare Skin, the Recon Expert came with a modest price of 1,200 V-Bucks the last time it was featured in the Item Shop. However, many at the time did not purchase the skin, because it offered no unique characteristics or eye-catching features that made it stand out from other cosmetic items. Ironically, the low number of purchases and the early nature of its release have combined to make it a skin that is just simply almost never seen in-game. Many among the vast player-base are likely to have never even heard of the skin before, especially since everyone was more interested in the hyped up “rare” items like the Skull Trooper, Scythe Pickaxe, Red Knight, and such. With so many of those items having been brought back to the Item Shop, it’s hard to tell which players are have been playing the game since last November, and which are just posing as “OGs.” However, if you come across a Recon Expert skin in-game, you can rest assured that the player is most certainly an “OG.”

  • New Portal/Time Warp has Appeared in Fortnite’s Retail Row, and Greasy Grove Could Be Next – Dexerto

New Portal/Time Warp has Appeared in Fortnite’s Retail Row, and Greasy Grove Could Be Next The recent trend of map changes in Fortnite has continued with yet another mysterious object appearing at a point-of-interest. A new portal/time warp has materialized in Retail Row, more specifically at the ‘NOMS’ supermarket that is located in the retail half of the location. Players began seeing the portal on July 3rd, hovering just in front of the massive storefront sign. As alluded to before, this is not the first mysterious object to appear on the Fortnite map in the aftermath of the in-game Rocket launch event that took place on June 30th Similar portals have been seen at Lonely Lodge, Motel, and Tomato Town, and each have caused considerable damage a while after initially appearing. This would suggest that a similar fate is in store for the NOMS sign, a theory which is further strengthened by leaks released by a source known as ‘Fortnite Leakage’ on Twitter. The oddities have begun to appear. First at Lonely Lodge. The image that follows will be where we will most likely see the next oddities/time warps. Some of these are not actually in game, and will also probably be added to the map. (Check previous posts) Thanks for 400 too pic.twitter.com/3kLFIC5Fcl — Fortnite Leakage (@FNLeak) June 30, 2018 The leaked files show the Motel sign and the revolving Tomato Man from Tomato Town, both of which were destroyed by the portals that had appeared in front of them. The destroyed NOMS sign is also included in these leaked files, along with objects that do not yet exist in Fortnite. However, one included image that does exist is that of the Durrr Burger restaurant sign located in Greasy Grove. If these leaks are accurate, that could mean a portal should be appearing at the location very soon, and that the sign would likely be destroyed shortly thereafter.

  • New NCAA esport tournament series announced with Fortnite bracket, cash & scholarship prizes – Dexerto

New NCAA esport tournament series announced with Fortnite bracket, cash & scholarship prizes Epic Games / GCN / Van WagnerThe GCN and Van Wagner have announced a massive new NCAA esports tournament series, beginning with a multi-conference Fortnite bracket in May 2021. To announce the new series of multi-conference, multi-game tournaments, the GCN, Van Wagner and NCAA have revealed a 10-conference Fortnite tournament to take place in May 2021. The tournament will be held in May 2021, with all students from each of the 10 conferences eligible to create teams and compete. • New Port-a-Fortress coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

New Port-a-Fortress coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale The Port-a-Fort was one of the more controversial additions to Fortnite when it was introduced earlier in 2018, but now Epic Games have taken it a step further, with a new Port-a-Fortress. Building is the most unique component of Fortnite, separating it from other games in the battle royale genre, and is absolutely key to being a good player. So, when the Port-a-Fort was first added, some players feared that Epic was pandering to less skilled players, giving them a cheap way to suddenly build without actually having to do it. After a while however, these fears calmed, as the Port-a-Fort, while useful, was fairly rare to find, and it certainly didn’t take away from the raw skill and practice needed to be a good builder. Now, Epic are taking the Port-a-Fort concept a step further, with a Port-a-Fortress coming soon – allowing you to instantly have a huge, castle-like, build in seconds. “Toss down the Port-a-Fortress and take defense to new heights” The image shown within the item appears to be a build three wall lengths wide, as opposed to the Port-a-Fort, which is only a single wall length wide, with a large open section at the top. The new item can be expected with the next content update, which will likely come sometime next week, so we will know soon enough just how powerful this new Port-a-Fortress is.

  • New Mysterious Unbreakable Vault in Fornite Battle Royale Possibly Hints at Vehicles or Season 5 – Dexerto

New Mysterious Unbreakable Vault in Fornite Battle Royale Possibly Hints at Vehicles or Season 5 A new mysterious and unbreakable hatch or vault like object has been spotted on the Fortnite Battle Royale map, sending fan speculation into overdrive. The new object has appeared at the start of week 2 for season 4 in Fortnite, and while it could simply be an inconsequential addition to the map, the Fortnite devs are almost certainly up to something. With the frenzy about Fortnite at an all time high, every little detail is scrutinised by players, and developers Epic Games will know this, so adding this new hatch is likely to be the first hint of something to come. One notable omission from Fortnite is of course vehicles, which feature in many other of the popular battle royale games. Some fans are speculating that the hatch is in fact a garage – a potential spawn point for a vehicle of some description, and the cover certainly looks similar to a garage door. However, if the development team haven’t yet introduced vehicles, it is likely that they are avoiding them for balance reasons, given the Fortnite map is fairly small in comparison the larger BR’s such as PUBG. The other possibility is some kind of hint/link back to the classic TV series ‘in which there was also an unbreakable vault. While in Lost there were numbers associated, there are some odd scribblings on the back of the Fortnite vault which likely entail their own mystery. Finally, the vault could of course link in with the other bunkers discovered around the map, with a possible look all the way to season 5. The reason for the bunkers is still fairly unclear, as well as this mysterious vault. For now, players will need to try to solve the scribbling on the back, and in a style clifff hanger, may need to wait until the next season to find out what is next…

  • Is a new Marshmello skin coming to Fortnite? Leaks hint at special cosmetics – Dexerto

Is a new Marshmello skin coming to Fortnite? Leaks hint at special cosmetics Epic GamesCould another new Marshmello skin be on the way to Fortnite in Season 6? Two years since the musician received his first Icon Series Outfit, fans believe another could be on the way. When it comes to in-game crossovers, Epic Games has worked with Marshmello on a number of occasions. The popular electronic DJ had one of the first live concerts in Fortnite, received his own Icon Series skin, and could now be in store for even more content. While Season 7 teasers have begun appearing online, there’s still plenty left in Season 6. Having tied heavily into a sports theme this time around, football has been a key focus over the past few months. With the 2021 UEFA Champions League final around the corner, and Marshmello set to attend, players believe a mysterious new skin could tie everything together. Leaked Fortnite skin hints at musical features A variety of skins in Fortnite come with their own unique features. Some have exclusive emotes, others evolve throughout each game. A newly datamined cosmetic looks to carry that trend forward in a new way. An encrypted skin hidden away in Fortnite’s code has a light-up effect that triggers when using musical Emotes, prominent leaker ‘HYPEX’ revealed on May 27. On top of this cosmetic, there’s more under the surface. A second ‘reactive skin’ has a Meta Tag applied. This only occurs when skins are added to Fortnite with their own challenges or “have a special thing like built-in capes.” There’s no telling exactly what this skin may look like, but clearly, it’s bigger than the average new look. There’s currently an encrypted skin that lights up while using musical Emotes. And there’s another encrypted reactive skin that for some reason has a Meta Tag which is usually only added so skins that are tied to challenges or have a special thing like built-in capes ect.. — HYPEX (@HYPEX) May 26, 2021 Could this be a new Marshmello skin in Fortnite? While there’s no specific mention of Marshmello in the game’s code, players soon began piecing things together. With his own skin already in the game, many believe this new addition could simply be an upgraded variant with light-up effects, akin to the artists’ on-stage costume. Given the emphasis on football in Season 6, with a special event catering to Neymar Jr fans, further evidence also supports this idea. Marshmello will be in attendance during the opening ceremony of the UEFA Champions League Final. • New Mysterious ‘Rifts’ Added to Fortnite in Season 5 – Video – Dexerto

New Mysterious ‘Rifts’ Added to Fortnite in Season 5 – Video The new ‘rifts’ in Fortnite Battle Royale are one of the headline additions to the game as part of Season 5, and provide an absolutely insane new way to get an advantage on opponents. Little was told about the rifts in the official patch notes, other than they would take ‘courage’ and would result in a ‘wild ride’ – and Epic Games were not lying. Similar to jump pads, the rifts are placed in numerous locations around the updated Season 5 map, and are activated by simply getting close enough with your character. Once in radius, the rift sucks your character in and magically transports you high into the sky, giving you another opportunity to skydive back down and get the scope on the area. From early uses, it looks like the rifts will only launch you in the sky above the area it is located, and the elevation isn’t as high as if you were jumping out the bus again. This means you are limited to a section of the map in which you can land and ambush, but it could prove very useful if you are in a tough spot and need to make a quick escape and reposition. Courtesy of FaZe Clan player “cloak”, here is one of the very first attempts at using the new rifts, and cloak is suitably shocked by what happened. It is not yet known if the rifts appear in the same locations each game, a rotation of spots, or if they are completely random. They should prove to be very useful, allowing players to reset their position if in a tough spot, but could also be frustrating when used against you, so make sure to be on the lookout. It also turns out that using the rift in combination with the new ATK vehicle actually works – and results in some ridiculous air-time.

  • New LTM coming to Fortnite for Marshmello concert event – Dexerto

New LTM coming to Fortnite for Marshmello concert event Wikimedia CommonsEDM DJ Marshmello has confirmed that he will be performing at Fortnite’s Pleasant Park on Saturday, February 2, and the developers are making sure that no one will miss the show. Like previous in-game events, the Marshmello performance will be one-off thing, so if you want to see the action in real time for yourself, you will have to log on to the game at 2pm EST on Saturday. The problem though, is that during previous events, some players have taken the opportunity while opponents’ have their guard down, to mow people down for some free eliminations. During the rocket launch in Season 3 for example, one opportunistic player managed to break the record for most eliminations in a match, by destroying the platform almost the entire lobby was standing on to watch the event. Epic Games have managed to work around these problems to an extent in later in-game events, with player made temporarily invincible during the ‘butterfly’ event for example. To avoid missing out on the Marshmello concert, it looks like players will be able to enter a special Limited Time Mode (LTM) which will have respawning enabled, so that if someone tries to ruin the fun, you’ll simply spawn back in. The LTM will be called ‘Party at Pleasant Park’. It’s not known how long the concert will last, but presumably once it’s over the LTM will be removed, unless the concert is to be replayed for a certain period. Along with the concert itself, the Marshmello event, also known as ‘Festivus’, has its own set of unique challenges, which have been discovered by leakers. For everything you need to know about the upcoming Marshmello event , including the schedule, location, how to watch, and more, visit out our Fortnite x Marshmello concert info hub.

  • New LEGO Fortnite update buffs all weapons and tools – Dexerto

New LEGO Fortnite update buffs all weapons and tools Epic GamesLEGO Fortnite has drastically increased the durability of the equipment after receiving community feedback. Fortnite expanded its reach by releasing three new game modes alongside the launch of Chapter 5. These modes were first teased during the Big Bang event and have now become hits among fans. LEGO Fortnite was one highlight of this addition, allowing players to farm and build to their heart’s content. The survival-based mode is similar to Minecraft with its own stylistic twists. Though one early complaint that players had was how quickly their tools and weapons broke after creation. Upon hearing this feedback, the developers have decided to tweak durability across the board. LEGO Fortnite weapon and tool durability increases The official Fortnite LEGO account released an update regarding the durability of weapons and tools on December 13. Despite being called an ‘update’ there was no extra download required to obtain the new changes. “Builders, we’ve heard your feedback and have buffed the max durability of all tools and weapons by +30%,” said LEGO Fortnite. “Please note, items you’ve already crafted may appear more damaged, since we increased the max durability they have. Newly crafted items will have the new, higher max.” As the post explains, players who already have damaged weapons in their world will also benefit from the effects. However, the durability bar won’t update to compensate for the change. Since LEGO Fortnite is a new permanent addition to the game, there will be several updates like this one in the future.

  • New Liferun mode coming soon to Fortnite is based around saving players – Dexerto

New Liferun mode coming soon to Fortnite is based around saving players A new Fortnite Creative game mode titled “Liferun” is being debuted at PAX South, and will see Fortnite streamers DrLupo, Lachlan, and ONE_shot_GURL competing against each other – with a life-saving twist. Pretty soon, Fortnite players will have a new game mode to get their hands on and it’s an interesting twist on the current format of the game. Instead of coming away with the most eliminations, players will instead have to focus on saving the most lives as possible. This mode is coming to Fortnite as part of a partnership with the International Red Cross. Players will race across the map in the ATK golf carts to save lives instead of taking them. It’s definitely an interesting spin on the game that we’re excited to see play out in action later this month. At PAX South, taking place Jan 17-19, the new Liferun mode is being debuted and will feature DrLupo, Lachlan, and ONE_shot_GURL. For those wanting to tune in, they’ll be able to do so on Sunday, Jan 19 at 11 am EST / 2 PM PST / 4 PM BST. What we don’t know is exactly how the game mode will work. Other than the premise, there will have to be a lot of speculation until we officially see it all play out. The mode comes from Team Evolve, the creators of the Zone Wars playlist as well as the Creative Showdown. With that kind of track record, we’re sure to get something good out of this. It’s unclear how long the mode will remain in the game once it enters the LTM rotation, but we expect it to stick around for a few weeks at least. With the end of the first season of Chapter 2 delayed until February, something will have to fill the void of emptiness, and it’s looking like this will be one of the ways the developers plan on doing so. We’ll know what Epic have in store for the mode as we approach the release date later in the month.

  • New Legendary shotgun variant coming soon to Fortnite – Dexerto

New Legendary shotgun variant coming soon to Fortnite Epic GamesThe Tactical Shotgun is getting a massive upgrade in Fortnite Battle Royale as Epic Games have decided to add Epic and Legendary variants of the weapon. The in-game announcement menu in Fortnite updated on July 15 to reveal that two new variants of the Tactical Shotgun were being added in the battle royale. “Get up close and personal with the new Epic and Legendary variants of the Tactical Shotgun,” he announcement message read. As far as appearances go, the weapon looks as different as can be from its lower variant counterparts, resembling the Heavy and Pump Shotguns much more than the futuristic look of the Tactical. The variants will most likely be released as part of the next update in Fortnite, which is expected to go live sometime during this week, the likeliest date being July 17. The announcement of these variants has come as a surprise to many in the Fortnite player-base, as this type of news is usually leaked beforehand by data-miners. As of now, there is no information, confirmed or otherwise, about the damage profiles of these variants, apart from the fact that they will undoubtedly be stronger than their Common, Uncommon, and Rare counterparts. Functionality-wise, their fire-rate will likely be high compared to other shotguns, which has always been the most-defining feature of the Tac Shotgun. Needless to say, this announcement has caused quite a stir in the Fortnite community, as the addition of two higher-rarity variants of the Tac Shotgun has the potential of changing gameplay and the competitive meta in a massive way. For one, it strongly suggests that the lower variants of the Tac will likely be on their way out of the core default modes and into the Vault. That would still leave four shotguns in the active pool, which is an unusually high amount, so there’s also the chance that Epic could do away with another shotgun to balance out the class. Seeing as how the Combat is the most popular shotgun, and the Drum was added very recently, the Pump remains the likeliest candidate to get vaulted, which wouldn’t be the first time anyway. Of course, the Tac hasn’t really been part of the competitive meta for a while now, but if the Epic and Legendary versions prove to be powerful enough, they could force themselves into players’ preferred arsenals. Also, let’s not forget that the Fortnite World Cup is less than two weeks away, so a shift in the meta could have a multi-million dollar effect.

  • New Leaked Fortnite Files Reveal Possible Images and Descriptions of the Medic and Intel Backpacks – Dexerto

New Leaked Fortnite Files Reveal Possible Images and Descriptions of the Medic and Intel Backpacks FNBRLeaksNew datamined game files have revealed new details regarding two new Backpack items that could be coming soon to Fortnite: Battle Royale. The Intel and Medic Backpacks have been rumored to be on their way into the game, and now possible images and descriptions for the items have surfaced. The new Backpack items in Fortnite are very similar to the Back Bling, but as opposed to being merely cosmetic items, they are found in-game and have usable abilities The Jetpack and ‘Eye of the Storm’ Tracker were both recently added via the v4.2 content update on May 22nd, although the latter was announced to have been added by mistake. Two popular Fortnite news and leaks outlets, ‘Fortnite Insider’ and ‘FNBRLeaks’ have found Fortnite game files that contain information regarding the two Intel and Medic Backpack items. Below are the rendered possible images of the Intel Backpack, along with the item’s potential in-game description. “Find the Eye of the Storm, and reveal nearby loot and enemies!” Source: @FNBRLeaksSource: @FNBRLeaks The possible appearance of the Medic Backpack can be found in the rendered images below, and the item could have this description once released: “Carry your allies to victory with this advanced life saving equipment!” Source: @FNBRLeaksSource: @FNBRLeaksSource: @FNBRLeaks It is not yet clear whether either of these Backpack items will be added to Fortnite, and whether they will be part of the regular game modes or a Limited Time Mode. Until these items are officially confirmed or announced, these files should be treated as no more than speculative leaks.

  • New Leaks Suggest That Fortnite is Coming to the Nintendo Switch – Dexerto

New Leaks Suggest That Fortnite is Coming to the Nintendo Switch Numerous reports have sprung up claiming that Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch and will be revealed at E3 in June. Fortnite has taken the world by storm in 2018 and is currently available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and even iOS. It looks like that isn’t enough for Epic Games, though, as supposed leaked E3 documents seem to show that the Nintendo Switch will be the next platform to support the incredibly popular title. The leaked document, supposedly coming from an employee involved with making the E3 displays, was originally posted on 4chan and later reported by the likes of Kotaku and gamesradar but nothing concrete has come to light and Epic Games has not commented. Read More: Epic Games Explains Why the Fortnite Battle Royale Servers Have Gone Down for the Third Day in a Row – If the leak is a legitimate one, there is no information on whether the Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite will simply feature the original “Save The World” mode or include the significantly more popular “Battle Royale”. The image, shown below, also displays marketing materials for Dragon Ball FighterZ which Kotaku say makes this leak seem more credible as they have heard rumors about it coming to the Switch from other sources. The Kotaku report also claims that a source “familiar with Epic Games’ plans” told the publication that Fortnite would be coming to the Nintendo Switch “earlier this week” but asked to remain anonymous. The idea of Fortnite coming to the Nintendo Switch is hardly a surprising one as the game is constantly expanding and Epic Games has proved to be a company that has its finger on the pulse. The developers are already working on getting Fortnite released for Android after the successful iOS launch. Add the Switch top the ever-growing list and it will be available on just about every modern device imaginable.

  • Leak reveals what Tilted Towers and Retail Row will look like when destroyed – Dexerto

Leak reveals what Tilted Towers and Retail Row will look like when destroyed Epic GamesFollowing the release of Fortnite Battle Royale’s patch v8.50, data miners have leaked files that show fan favourite POIs Tilted Towers and Retail Row are soon to be destroyed. The end of Tilted Towers and Retail Row? As is typical following any major new update in Fortnite Battle Royale, data miners have been busy delving into game files in order to leak new data about upcoming events. Information released on April 25 heavily suggests that two significant locations on the map, Tilted Towers and Retail Row, will be destroyed soon. Well known data miner, FortTory, who boasts a strong record of leaks, has found several images of a heavily damaged Tilted Towers and an equally ruined Retail Row. The images clearly show areas of both Retail Row and Tilted Towers in ruins. Both POIs have been integral parts of the Fortnite Battle Royale map since its early seasons. Speculation surrounding the destruction of Tilted Towers at the end of Season 3 proved incorrect, but the recent leaks appear to indicate that its time has finally come. The leak suggests that the volcano added at the start of Season 8, in the North East area of the map, will erupt and begin firing out large rocks, which will in turn destroy large portions of Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Data miners even went as far as to release videos of what Retail Row and Tilted Towers will look like subsequent to the destruction. New Tilted Towes. . . In a bit I will try to also leak the destructed buildings. pic.twitter.com/Z5Vpm8d6b2 — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 25, 2019 Retail Row…. Goodbye. Buildings are also destructed but I couldnt get that in game YET. pic.twitter.com/yeSupqRCWb — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 25, 2019 When will Tilted Towers and Retail Row be destroyed? Given the timing of the leaks, with roughly two weeks to go until the end of Season 8, it appears likely that, if these changes are going to occur, they will do so at the start of Season 9. The inception of new seasons are typically when Epic Games make the most monumental changes to Fortnite Battle Royale’s map, for example the addition of Lazy Lagoon, Sunny Steps and the volcano came at the start of Season 8.

  • New instant death location discovered in Fortnite Season 9 – Dexerto

New instant death location discovered in Fortnite Season 9 Epic GamesAs is common after a large update, many new bugs and glitches have recently been found in Fortnite Battle Royale. One long-standing bug appears to have reared its head yet again, as a new instant death location has been discovered. Season 9 launched on May 9, and changed many aspects of the popular battle royale game, including the redesign of Tilted Towers and Retail Row as futuristic points of interests, and the removal of the ever-present pump shotgun. Since then though, a number of bugs have been found, including texture issues and inconsistent damage dealt by the new combat shotgun. One issue that has affected players for a few months, albeit in different places, is instant death locations at arbitrary points of the map, as players are simply eliminated for no reason. Such occurrences have plagued the game for some time now, for example after the v8.51 update. Now, it appears a new one has been found. 600Players have been eliminated in the past by just standing near these places, which were previously found near The Block and also near the Fork Knife location – resulting in many angry players being thrown out of games for no fault of their own. A new location has now been found, just south-east of the brand new Neo-Tilted. In the clip, posted to Reddit, the player can be seen opening a supply drop. They then proceed to slide down the mountain, in order to go after the loot that fell to the ground. However, a little way into their slide, they are killed instantly for no apparent reason, leading to the conclusion that the instant death bug has reared its ugly head once again. Reddit users were quick to see the funny side, with one replying that “the hill was just better than you”. All jokes aside, it is clear that players want to see changes made soon, as the unfortunate bug continues to ruin some fans’ experiences. Epic Games are yet to respond publicly to this particular issue. but, given the number of issues found after Season 9’s launch, it’s likely we’ll see hotfixes and patches released soon.

  • Fortnite Season 9: How much is John Wick’s new skin pack? – Dexerto

Fortnite Season 9: How much is John Wick’s new skin pack? Epic GamesEpic Games have released the brand new John Wick inspired cosmetic set for Fortnite Battle Royale alongside a new limited time mode, but how much will it cost to get your hands on all the new Parabellum-inspired gear? Dataminers found traces of the John Wick cosmetic pack on May 15, following the arrival of the v9.01 content update, and it’s now available for players to pick up in the Fortnite Item Shop. Now, fans of the popular movie franchise John Wick can take part in a special event dedicated to the character, and even dress up as the former hitman thanks to a new cosmetic set launched in conjunction with the release of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. How much does the John Wick cosmetics set cost? This John Wick set includes the new outfit, as seen below, along with the Simple Sledge Pickaxe, new Back Bling and Assassin wrap. The skin itself, along with the Back Bling, costs 2,000 V-Bucks, while the Pickaxe is a further 500 and you can pick up the weapon camo for 300 – meaning a total of 2,800 total. These new cosmetics have been revealed ahead of the release of Parabellum, the third chapter in the John Wick saga, which is set to premiere on May 17, and would cost $24.99 if you wanted the lot. This would mean purchasing the 2,500 V-Bucks pack, which also grants players an additional 300, which would cover the cost of the full pack. The emotes though, of which there are two, will set you back a further 200 each. New ‘Wick’s Bounty’ LTM revealed That’s not all, either. The game’s developer also confirmed that a previously leaked LTM, ‘Wick’s Bounty’, has now been added to the game. For those interested in that, Epic Games also posted a first-look trailer of the limited time mode on YouTube, giving fans an idea of what to expect. “The High Table has opened a new contract,” they wrote in a website announcement. “It’s up to you to collect the bounty. Stay alive and collect gold tokens by eliminating the other bounty hunters. “The first one to fulfill the order wins, but be careful how far ahead you get, as you will become a target for everyone else.” Full patch notes for the game mode can be found below: Limited Time Mode: Wick’s Bounty Summary Every player begins with several gold tokens. Eliminating an enemy player pays out all of the tokens the target was carrying. The first squad to reach the specified gold token count wins the match. • New Information Suggests the Fortnite Battle Royale Refund Feature Could Return Sooner Than Thought – Dexerto

New Information Suggests the Fortnite Battle Royale Refund Feature Could Return Sooner Than Thought Epic GamesThe “Refund” feature for Fortnite Battle Royale, which allows players to refund purchased cosmetics for the very first time, looks set to return before the end of May. The V3.6.0 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale was released on April 24th, introducing a number of new bug fixes and items, including the all-new clinger Grenade. One of the biggest changes was the all-new “Self-Service Cosmetic Returns Feature”, which allowed you to return a total of three cosmetic purchases for V-Bucks. Eligible items for the refund feature were Emotes, Gliders, Harvesting Tools, Back Bling, and Outfits but it only allowed a total of three refunds and it had to be used within 30 days of an item being purchased. Read More: New Leaked Fortnite Files Reveal Possible Images and Descriptions of the Medic and Intel Backpacks The feature was well received by the Fortnite community but it didn’t last long as Epic Games disabled it temporarily on April 24th due to an undisclosed issue. There have been a number of rumors about when the feature will return but a change to its status on the official Fortnite Trello board shows it as “Fixed In Next Release” which means it should return in the next update. The next major update is likely to be released on Tuesday, May 29th so players could be refunding their unwanted items again in no time. A leaked email on May 21st seemed to show Epic Games stating that the refund feature would “be live by June 1st”. Some people took that to mean “on” June 1st but the new information suggests that “by” was the important word in that sentence. The function should also return with “some usability improvements”. Whether this means there will be any changes to the limitations is currently unknown.

  • New in-game tournaments are coming to Fortnite – Dexerto

New in-game tournaments are coming to Fortnite Epic Games have announced that a brand new in-game tournament system is coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale. These new tournaments will be open to all players, and will appear in the ‘Events’ section of the battle royale mode of the game once the v6.10 update is released. The tournaments will be played on specific dates and times, and players will be awarded points for both eliminations and high placements, depending on the exact format of each competition. Each competition will have a target score that participating players will have to reach. Getting enough points to reach target goals will award players with a shiny pin, which not only recognizes their achievement but potentially can advance them to further rounds or qualify them to win prizes. Perhaps the biggest news regarding this announcement is the fact that all players will be considered equally when competing against each other, regardless of platform or of if they’re using a mouse, controller, or touch input device. The initial schedule for the tournament series can be seen below, and specific times for each region will be provided once the tournament details are announced. Alpha Tournament (Solo) Dates: October 16 – October 21 – Description: Participate in the first in-game tournament, spanning across several days of daily competition! – – Beta Tournament (Duo) Dates: October 23 – October 25 – Description: Grab a friend and take on the world – until you are the last two left. – – Friday Night Fortnite (Squad) Dates: October 19 – November 30 – Description: Join your friends every Friday and kick off your weekend with some exciting Squad action. – – Salty Springs Cup (Solo) Dates: October 27 – October 31 – Description: One week and three attempts to prove you’re the saltiest that Salty Springs has to offer. – – Tomato Temple Cup (Duo) Dates: October 28 – November 1 – Description: Become legends of the Tomato Temple Cup. – – While it appears for now that these tournaments are all standalone, one-round competitions, Epic are actively looking into expanding events to go multiple rounds, with players advancing if they obtain the special pin mentioned above. The scoring methods for their tournaments will also vary, and there will be a special ‘Showdown Royale’ event that will allow players to qualify for the 2019 Fortnite World Cup. Source – Epic Games

  • New info leaked about the Gifting System coming soon to Fortnite – Dexerto

New info leaked about the Gifting System coming soon to Fortnite The long awaited gifting system in Fortnite Battle Royale may soon finally be added to the game, months after initially being announced. Fortnite news and leaks outlet FNBR.NEWS has reportedly received information from an anonymous source that claims to have insider knowledge about the upcoming gifting system. According to the leak, development of the system is nearly done and should be added to the game sometime around Season 7, which is expected to launch within the first week of December. While no conclusive details have been officially revealed about gifting, the insider claims that it will allow players to use V-Bucks to purchase in-game content from the Item Shop and send them to friends. Before players can send gifts however, they’ll have to first enable Two-Factor Authentication and reach level two or higher in-game, which is likely to prevent bot accounts. The gifting system will apparently be limited to only the cosmetic items that are in the Item Shop at that exact time, meaning that players will not be able to gift items from past shops. Here is the full list of things that players will NOT be able to gift: Battle Passes – V-bucks – Real money offers – Items that are not currently in the item shop – Items that are already in your locker – Some store items, including Battle Pass Tier Bundles – Furthermore, gifting will be restricted to the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android platforms, with Apple’s iOS notably missing out from that list. It’s unclear as to why iOS players will not be able to gift items, or whether the feature will be enabled for the platform sometime in the future. Read More: Five things we want to see added to Fortnite for winter season – Snowcrasher, Freeze Weapons, and more! – There will also be a series of restrictions in place for those trying to use the gifting feature, including a limit to how many gifts can be sent within 24 hours, not being able to send items to players that already have the item in their inventory, and a two week friendship requirement on EPIC – meaning players who want to gift each other must be EPIC friends for at least two weeks prior. All that being said, the entirety of this information should be taken with a grain of salt and treated as speculation, since nothing is official until announced or confirmed by Epic Games.

  • New glitch allows players to easily get to the Spawn Island in Fortnite – Dexerto

New glitch allows players to easily get to the Spawn Island in Fortnite Thanks to a new exploit in the recently released v6.30 update in Fortnite, players now have the ability to easily access Spawn Island. Spawn Island is an interesting location in Fortnite because each match’s group of players first spawn there before boarding the Battle Bus, and yet it’s almost impossible to find a way to get back there. That has all changed thanks to a glitch uncovered by YouTuber ‘penguinzomby,’ who has recently learned that a simple trick can guarantee easy access to the island. The only catch to his method is that it can only be done in Playground, and not in any of the other default or Limited Time Modes. Once a player loads into a Playground session, they first need to find one of the aerial Pirate Ships located in the Challenge Games section of the map. The next step is to activate the time trial minigame located on the ship, which opens up a respawn point that then needs to be blocked by building a pyramid over it. Materials to build can be acquired for free from one of the nearby Vending Machines. Blocking of the respawn point is necessary because the next step involves manually respawning using the option given in the pause menu. Because the point is blocked, the player will then respawn on the Spawn Island and off of the playable area shown in the mini-map. There they have full liberty to explore the island to a certain extent, as there is an invisible barrier around the edges that prevent players from falling into the water. There is also no need to be cautious when roaming the island; players who get eliminated will continue to respawn there as long as the respawn on the pirate ship remains blocked. Regardless, it’s hard to eliminate yourself in Playground anyway, considering that the Glider Re-Deploy feature remains active in that mode and the v6.30 update has removed the storm from the island, according to the video.

This recent flurry of game files does indicate that a possible near-future release could be in the works, and it will be interesting to see how the system will work.

  • New Fortnite Weather Warning countdown appears on in-game TV screens – Dexerto

New Fortnite Weather Warning countdown appears on in-game TV screens The in-game television sets found throughout the Fortnite Battle Royale map have begun broadcasting a countdown time under a “weather warning.” The countdown began at precisely 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET on January 17 and was set for exactly two days, which means that it will hit zero at that same exact time on January 18. This comes a day after the TV screens began showing a warning of inclement weather on January 16, but there was no timer or any other information that hinted at what it was all for. So what is this all for? Although Epic Games have not officially announced it, all indications are that a brand new Ice Storm in-game event is set to take place when the countdown reaches zero. According to game files found and leaked by data miners, Ice Storm will features its own unique set of challenges and rewards, as well as some more snowy changes to the map. Those same leaks also indicate that this countdown screen will not be the final thing shown on the in-game TV sets in relation to the Ice Storm. There will be one more screen which will feature the words “No Signal” over a backdrop of the Ice King’s shadow. This will presumably begin showing once the countdown reaches zero and the Ice Storm actually does begin. So what does this all mean? Well, no one can know for sure, but all of this seems to be building towards some major storyline in Fortnite. Many believe that the Ice Storm is closely tied with the mysterious ice sphere floating above Polar Peak, as well as the Dragon Eggs found in the dungeons of the nearby castle. Whatever does end up happening, this countdown has certainly built up the hype for what’s to come, and seasoned players will remember a similar countdown taking place during Season 4 that ultimately led to the one-time Rocket Launch event that took place.

  • New Fortnite update introduces Quad Launcher and Disco Domination LTM – V6.02 patch notes – Dexerto

New Fortnite update introduces Quad Launcher and Disco Domination LTM – V6.02 patch notes Wednesday, October 10, just got a little more exciting for Fortnite fans thanks to the release of the V6.02 patch. The more friendly players dancing on a floor, the faster it will be captured. – – Once a floor is captured, it will begin filling the team’s “dance bar” on the HUD, until either an enemy stands on it or the current storm timer ends and the storm begins to move. The first team to fill their dance bar to 100% will win the match. – The dance floors in the later stages of the match fill the bar more quickly, so don’t give up if your team is behind! – It is not possible to build on or over the dance floors, but they can be protected by surrounding them with a fort. – Glider redeploy is activated in this mode, press jump while falling to use your glider. – This mode uses 50v50 levels of loot and resources. – WEAPONS + ITEMS Quad Launcher Fire up to four lobbed rockets in quick succession. – Available in Epic and Legendary variants. 80/84 base damage per rocket. – 300 unit explosion radius. – – Can be found in chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines. – – The Port-a-Fortress has returned and can be looted in-game. • New Fortnite v11.00 Starter Pack leaked – new skin, back bling & pickaxe – Dexerto

New Fortnite v11.00 Starter Pack leaked – new skin, back bling & pickaxe EpicFortnite’s latest update is bringing a ton of new content, including a new starter pack, to the game with the arrival of Chapter 2. Data miners have been combing through all of the files added in the v11.00 update along with the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite Battle Royale. There are a ton of changes in the update, including a brand new map, fishing, new cosmetics, challenges, and a whole lot more. What’s the leaked starter pack? Several upcoming cosmetics have already been leaked by miners, and images of a new starter pack were shared by leaker FNLeaksAndInfo on Twitter. The name for the new cosmetics hasn’t been confirmed by epic just yet, but their game files list them as “Bullet Blue”. LEAKED Upcoming Skin Bundle!#Fortnite pic.twitter.com/r3pFRpFtcx — Fortnite Leaks And Info (@FNLeaksAndInfo) October 15, 2019 The set comes with a skin, pickaxe and back bling, the latter of which is a spiky blue backpack with some shells stored on the side. Black, blue and also spiky, the gathering tool will let players smash their way through the new map in style. The skin itself definitely fits with the “Bullet Blue” name and comes with plenty of camo and spikes as well. These new cosmetics are just the tip of the iceberg of what’s coming in Chapter 2, but so far it seems Epic is off to a good start. 600What’s coming for the first week of Chapter 2? Fortnite players will soon be able to grind their way through the first set of challenges in Chapter 2 – appropriately named the ‘New World’. The leaked challenges are very much based around exploration and introducing players to things they haven’t seen yet in the new game mode. Challenges include things like discovering landmarks and named locations, riding in boats, fishing and more. The complete list of Week 1 challenges can be found here. Leaks for both the challenges and the new starter pack are still just leaks, which means they haven’t been confirmed by Epic just yet. Even though they’re not 100% official yet, that won’t stop players from looking forward to all of the new content coming for Chapter 2 – leaked or not.

  • New Fortnite unlimited XP exploit uncovered in Season 4 secret challenge – Dexerto

New Fortnite unlimited XP exploit uncovered in Season 4 secret challenge Epic GamesStruggling to grind your Fortnite Season 4 battle pass? A new unlimited XP exploit has been discovered by the “Glitch King” himself. However, be wary when using it, because Epic could be cracking down on players that abuse it. Like every season, Fortnite players have to grind the Season 4 battle pass to get some great rewards. However, this season has some extra special rewards on the line if you are a Marvel fan. Eight MCU characters, with potential foil variants, makes this season’s grind even more worthwhile. This has got players looking for potential ways to rack up experience fast. One way to do so is by completing the weekly challenges, and also just setting aside some time to grind out the games. Others, however, resort to exploits like this one. While Epic has been hot on trying to patch out exploits as they pop up, this one has lingered around for a little while, revolving around a secret Season 4 challenge. YouTuber Glitch King uncovered it while completing the defusal challenge. Defusing the bomb will only give you 500 XP. However, if you spray the barrel, it’ll trigger the reward up to five times in one game. After you get the 2,500 XP, you’ll have to back out of the game and rinse and repeat the grind. Obviously, 2,500 XP is only a small dent, and the grind might not be as appetising as previous exploits which give players millions, or even billions of XP. However, it’s still a way to farm up your battle pass. There’s also downsides to tanking your solo stats, so if you are a bit of a stat hunter you’ll want to stay away. If MMO grinding doesn’t appeal to you either, that’s a good reason to avoid this exploit. The number one reason above all though might be facing the wrath of Epic. If you do it too much, Epic might catch on and punish you with an account ban. While it’s unlikely, it’s still a possibility. However, if you’re still thinking the benefits outweigh the risk, you can easily abuse this exploit to get easy experience to level up your battle pass. It’s much quicker than just hoping you pop off every game.

  • New Fortnite theory hints original Chapter 1 map may finally return soon – Dexerto

New Fortnite theory hints original Chapter 1 map may finally return soon Epic Games[jwplayer so0eN9Pk]Fortnite’s game-changing ‘The End’ event ushered in Chapter 2 and transported players to an all-new map, though after four Seasons in the one location, we may finally be heading back to where it all started in the next major update. At the end of Season X in October, 2019, Epic Games completely reset the state of Fortnite. Chapter 2 kicked off with updated visuals, tons of new mechanics, fresh loot, and of course, a new map. The map that players grew to love – codenamed ‘Athena’ – was left in the past. A full year since that historic shift and the developers have been entirely focused on the Chapter 2 map – codenamed ‘Apollo.’ However, that hasn’t stopped them subtly teasing the original battleground here and there. Fans have been demanding the first map make its return and now, it could finally be happening. In the midst of Season 4’s Marvel-themed storyline, Iron Man has been making some upgrades to the Battle Bus. If a new theory holds up, it could all be pointing towards a huge return to the original Fortnite stomping grounds. The wormhole connection… So what we all thought was a black hole turns out to be a worm hole. A wormhole is a hypothetical connection between widely separated parts of space. This makes sense because the orb seems to be on both maps. *the reason galactus is coming to our map* “nexus war” by inFortNiteBR ‘The wormhole connection,’ Reddit user ‘SvenWillNeverDie420’ coined on October 1. “What we all thought was a black hole, turns out to be a wormhole.” Instead of last year’s world-ending event, what if the original universe was never sucked out of existence? We were all just transported elsewhere while the previous location still remains somewhere in the galaxy. While this would be a nice sentiment on paper, there’s a surprising amount of evidence to back the theory. The workshop at the Stark Industries POI currently has upgrades being applied to the Battle Bus. However, a whiteboard in the background could be pointing towards this wormhole theory. A simple drawing of a wormhole could indicate that Tony Stark is upgrading the Battle Bus in order to travel through one in the near future. This could mean that we transport back to the original map at the end of this season. Though it could also hint that both maps will be playable in Season 5 thanks to a Battle Bus that can travel through at any point in time. This theory is further backed by a tweet from Epic Games worldwide creative director Donald Mustard. “It’s ALL connected,” he teased back on August 22. “Pay attention. The story is about to kick into overdrive.” It’s ALL connected. Pay attention. The story is about to kick into overdrive… — Donald Mustard (@DonaldMustard) August 21, 2020 Obviously, take this information with a grain of salt for the time being as it is purely a theory for now. The Fortnite community has been asking for the original map to make its return for quite some time. Perhaps it could finally be on the horizon as the next Season draws near. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks. Fortnite Season 5 is expected to arrive on November 30; there’s still plenty of time for Epic to drop more teasers.

  • New Fortnite trick allows players to reach new heights with the Grappler – Dexerto

New Fortnite trick allows players to reach new heights with the Grappler Epic GamesFortnite battles can see the battlefield shifting skyward really fast. Luckily the game’s Grappler can instantly close the distance, but a new trick would let players propel the item’s use to new heights. The Grappler was introduced to Fortnite in patch v5.4 on September 2018 which gave players the ability to hoist themselves across the game’s island for more dynamic combat potentials, but a new trick might up the ante for its users. Streamer imspeedygonzales broke down an obscure mechanic with the Grappler after many saw FaZe Clan’s Jason ‘Tennp0’ Wang use it to send him flying higher than most players know how to. Apparently people didn’t know you could get a boost with grapples with your jump. I shall share my wisdom with you humans  pic.twitter.com/EvL6DgTIMO — FaZe Tennp0 (@FaZeTennp0) January 14, 2019 The Grappler can be used to point-and-click a player over a great distance. However, if players jump after the item’s plunger connects with a surface, the momentum will throw them to significantly greater lengths. “A common mistake that people do when they grapple is that they jump and then they grapple,” imspeedygonzales explained. “But what Tennp0 does is, he hits jump the moment a grapple connects… and this gives [the player] about two floors of height [more].” The streamer goes on to explain that the trick works just as well when a player uses the Grappler to traverse more ground. The added momentum won’t throw the player off course, instead it will give “two squares of extra boost horizontally.” Many players received the tip with open arms, as it finally explained how players were able to effectively use the Grappler to soar much further than normal. The trick does not seem to be a bug or glitch, instead being one of those pro-tips that players can practice and incorporate into their play style.

  • New Fortnite x The Batman crossover teased ahead of new movie – Dexerto

New Fortnite x The Batman crossover teased ahead of new movie Epic Games, DC ComicsFortnite players may be able to suit up as Robert Pattinson’s iteration of The Batman, as the Caped Crusader is planned to drop in for the new film’s release. Matt Reeves’ The Batman will be released on March 4, following several delays. While the wait has been agonizing for more Batman content, Fortnite has been providing some wicked DC content in the build-up to the hotly anticipated movie. Players have seen the likes of The Suicide Squad, Superman, and more join the battle. Batman has also swooped into the battle royale before, and now, the Dark Knight is returning once again. The Batman crossover is bringing the goods to Fortnite Initially, players thought that last year’s DC Fandome event would set up a glorious crossover for the DC comics hero. As the film met more delays, plans for a Fortnite crossover were put on the backburner. Now, information has dropped from Batman lore expert @KwingReviews that reports Pattinson’s version could drop into the game alongside the film’s release. “Heard some Big news #TheBatman Movie skin is coming out this week or next,” said the Batman fanatic. They went on to say “it‘s possible the skin could show up for #injustice2 mobile. But that’s up to WB.” Heard some Big news #TheBatman Movie skin is coming out this week or next. • Fortnite technique lets players overcome Glider Redeploy’s biggest problem – Dexerto

Fortnite technique lets players overcome Glider Redeploy’s biggest problem Epic GamesFortnite players have been reeling since the reintroduction of Glider Redeploys as an item that takes up a precious inventory slot, but a new trick might help sooth over that problem with a quick sleight of hand. The ability to redeploy one’s glider was brought back to Fortnite on January 14. While the announcement brought cheer to many, Epic Game’s decision to turn the ability into an item raised a few eyebrows. However a new trick from Reddit user Talxan makes hauling around the ability in an item slot less painful by quickly picking up another item right after activating the Glider Redeploy. In the video, Talxan is seen on a ledge of a cliff with a Heavy Sniper at their feet. The user explains that a player has to “pick up the item and click space bar as it is getting dragged to your inventory” for the trick to work. If successful, a player could sneak an item they want to take with them while still getting one last use from the Glider Redeploy. Many other commenters suggested that the same principle could be applied to the Rift-To-Go item that could fill the empty slot once its used. As Reddit user MyWifeFoundMyOldAcct pointed out, this method could be used instead to get a whole squad’s use out of one Glider Redeploy if the party is coordinated enough. It’s a simple trick but one that demands quick fingers to get right, less a player both drops the Glider Redeploy and leaves the item they wanted to swap out for.

  • New Fortnite ‘Testing Event’ gives possible clues at upcoming ranked playlist [UPDATED] – Dexerto

New Fortnite ‘Testing Event’ gives possible clues at upcoming ranked playlist [UPDATED] Epic Games have officially announced that a new in-game tournament-style event has been added to Fortnite Battle Royale. The new tournament is called “Testing Event” and will feature a competitive format that supports both Solos and Duos. Just as with previous in-game tournaments, players who reach a certain points threshold will be rewarded with a unique pin. Epic Games representative ‘SyzYn’ posted a message on the FortniteCompetitive sub-Reddit announcing the event and explaining that it will not be available to everyone at the start. “Not everyone will have access to this initially,” the post reads. “We’ve updated the backend which tournaments run on and want to slowly ramp up the amount of players as we verify that everything is working as expected as we scale up.” The developer also revealed that the tournament “will be deleted upon completion,” and that it’s “meant strictly for checking our new systems.” The leak, which includes a code file and several images, comes courtesy of Lucas7yoshi, a prominent source for Fortnite-related news and leaks. Upcoming “”TESTING EVENT”” tournament (Duos and Solos) “”This tournament will self destruct at the conclusion of our testing period. Any scores or pins will be removed after the tournament is complete”” Raw info: https://t.co/I1mNKfU6AF (is solo, but duos is the exact same) pic.twitter.com/CiXQERf23Q — Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite News & Leaks (@lucas7yoshi_) January 17, 2019 While this will be the next major competitive event to take place in Fortnite, its description does make it sound different than the other in-game tournaments that have come before it, such as the Pop-Up Cup. It would appear that, unlike those other tournaments, this one will be continuously available to play over a longer period of time rather than the 2-3 hour sessions of the Pop-Up Cup, for example. Some are also interpreting the second sentence to be a major hint that this Testing Event will actually be the first signs of ranked play in Fortnite. Traditionally in battle royales, most notably H1Z1, players who achieve a certain status during a season of ranked play would lose that standing once the event reset and the next one began. Combining the theories that this event will be continuous and not in spurts and that all scores and pins will be removed after its over does make it seem a lot like a ranked playlist. Read More: Fortnite Season 7, Week 7 challenges and how to complete them – Expedition Outposts, X-4 Stormwings and more – Even the name “Testing Event” and the Reddit post suggest that this could be a way for Epic to test out a beta ranked playlist and lay the foundation for an actual one to come sometimes in the future, which would be another explanation for why everyone’s achievements would get wiped out after it’s over.

  • New Fortnite season brings unbelievable meta that nobody saw coming – Dexerto

New Fortnite season brings unbelievable meta that nobody saw coming Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has gone completely off the rails with its new vehicular meta. It almost feels like a completely different game, and the community has some strong opinions on it. If you haven’t been paying attention to Fortnite recently, you may have missed the teaser of a Monster Jam collaboration, or the RC car sent out to content creators. These were just the tip of the iceberg regarding what the full season is like. With sports cars and G-Wagons around every corner, almost everyone in the lobby can have their own vehicle, and this concept is only magnified by the countless vehicle mods. Instead, what was once a gun-forward Battle Royale has now become an ultimate demolition derby, with the winner deciding whose car can withstand the Nitro-fueled heat. Having some sort of vehicle has become absolutely necessary in Chapter 5 Season 3, thanks to the over-powered supercars that can be found around the map after defeating bosses. With infinite boost and little need for gas, these cars are a force to be reckoned with. However, the game-changer is the new Nitro Fists scattered across the map, which can bring these mighty vehicles to a screeching halt. “The new power glove things absolutely mess up cars in seconds. That being said, good luck if you’re caught in the open,” pointed out one Reddit user. But Reddit isn’t the only one that can’t seem to get on board with the new meta. Popular streamers like Ninja sarcastically criticized how the game is now played, saying the vehicles have “increased the skill gap.” A strategy that some have started to call “get in the car or die,” Chapter 5 Season 3 has definitely set an unthinkable meta to Fortnite. Especially when the Mythic Nitro Cars from the bosses increase your firing speed by 1.5x. Leaving those in the open with little to no choice but to hope for the best. Fortnite has entered a new era of battling it out on the map, but players are still desperately trying to get Epic Games to add more counters to the vehicles to level the playing field somewhat, and it’s only day two of the season!

  • Fortnite Season 7 teasers: New Shotgun, weapon charms & more – Dexerto

Fortnite Season 7 teasers: New Shotgun, weapon charms & more Epic GamesEpic is known for releasing teasers ahead of any new Fortnite season, and this time around is no exception. We know aliens are coming, and they have found some rather interesting findings on the inhabitants of the Fortnite island. Season 6 has been one of the stellar seasons that Epic has produced since they first premiered Chapter 2 towards the tail-end of 2019. Now, with Season 7 releasing on June 7, they are rolling out teasers ahead of the launch. For quite some time now we have heard rumors of aliens coming to the Fortnite island, and this was all but confirmed with the teaser image stating “They’re coming.” Epic continues to add speculation into what the aliens could be planning with a new video released. New Season 7 teasers Epic has released few teasers so far, and with just a few days to go until the season releases on the 7th of June, they have rolled out another one. This time around, it appears the aliens are commenting on some of the findings they have made on earth and have noted. The creatures of the Island seem to use this strange, flimsy holding device to consume their… bone modification liquid? Full data upload – 6.8.2021 pic.twitter.com/VJjBro5Jja — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 5, 2021 From what we can tell they have gathered a mini Fishstick toy, a carton of milk, and some sort of weapon we have not seen in Fortnite to this point. Also, it seems the aliens have captured these items from their mothership that we can assume is patrolling the Fortnite island as of now, to see what is really going on down there. Read More: Fortnite UFO’s explained – As well, throughout the week Fortnite players have been getting abducted by the aliens at random times during a match, and it is quite interesting to see what occurs during this. We do not know what their research has found in regards to these players, but this may be a teaser we see in the coming days. This has the potential to be one of the biggest releases of any season we have seen from the crew at Epic Games, and with just a few days to go, we cannot wait to see what other teasers they have in store for us. But for now, we will have to keep our eyes peeled on social media and within Fortnite itself, as UFO’s may appear at any moment! Fortnite weapon charms and new “ray gun” coming? One of the more notable points in this teaser was the objects themselves chosen for the teaser image. As mentioned above, we can see a milk carton, a Fishtick toy and some new weapon not seen within the Fortnite universe thus far. Read More: Bella Poarch Fortnite emote revealed – The first two mentioned could be a new addition to Fortnite with the release of Season 7 in the form of weapon charms. A cosmetic item that is seen in other titles such as Warzone and Apex Legends, seems to be best suited for what these items are for. While on the other side, the weapon on the far right is probably a new weapon coming with Season 7, and from what we can tell, it appears to be some alien technology they will be bringing to the island. Superman and new weapon confirmed in the latest teaser Epic has released another teaser just the day before the new season is set to release, and this time around fans have been speculating heavily regarding this one. Similar to the one we received on June 5, the teaser features three items and an accompanying caption that states. When placed onto the face this strange plastic device seemed to make us appear as unrecognizable. More testing required. Catalog Entry #407-740 When placed onto the face this strange plastic device seemed to make us appear as unrecognizable. More testing required. Full data upload – 6.8.2021 pic.twitter.com/KXGykzgO7S — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 6, 2021 Starting on the left, this looks to be another weapon charm that we could see in the game so that we can equip these on the side of our weapons. For the weapon on the right, HYPEX has noted that this is already a weapon in Save The World and it is a shotgun called the Pulsar 9000, so this should be making its way into the battle royale game mode. Now, onto the most interesting aspect of this latest teaser, and this is the pair of glasses in the middle of the video. On the surface, they seem to be just a regular pair of glasses, and we would normally assume it would just be another weapon charm. However, some eagle-eyed fans have made a connection between the caption of the teaser and the renowned superhero, Superman. For those who do not Clark Kent, or Superman becomes “unrecognizable” when he wears a special set of glasses, and people cannot make the connection between the two. This is essentially the statement the teaser notes, and Epic could be planning on releasing a new Superman skin for Season 7’s battle pass. But, this is purely speculation at this time, and we do not know if Epic has this in store for players when Season 7 releases.

  • New Fortnite Season 8 location may have been leaked – Dexerto

New Fortnite Season 8 location may have been leaked Fortnite’s Season 8 is rapidly approaching, and it appears that one of the game’s upcoming new locations has been leaked ahead of the big reveal, named Sharky Shrubs. The introduction of a new Fortnite season always brings a number of major changes to the game’s map, with new points of interest popping up across the island to match the theme of the season. During Season 7, new snowy areas appeared on the map like Frosty Flights and Polar Peak, and with many believing that Season 8 will have a nautical theme, the addition of a location named Sharky Shrubs would make sense. The leak of the new Sharky Shrubs point of interest was first reported by FortniteINTEL, who noticed that the product description for a Fortnite-themed backpack on the Sprayground website mentioned the location. The backpack, which is named “Fortnite Shark Royale” had some interesting details included alongside it, which read: “The ONLY official Fortnite backpack in our Leatherette fabric. Depicting our favorite Fortnite skins running from the storm across Sharky Shrubs.” The description of the backpack has since changed, with the term “Sharky Shrubs” now removed from the site. Fortnite Season 8 is set to kick off on Thursday, February 28, with Epic Games already dropping teasers and hints as to what my be coming to the game when the new season goes live. While this mistake on the Sprayground website seems to hint at Sharky Shrubs being a new location on the map, it’s worth noting that this has not been confirmed by Epic Games, and may not appear in the game when Season 8 goes live.

The battle royale game was given a major refresh on June 17 when the developers rolled out their latest patch, overhauling not just the island with a boatload of map changes, but also with the addition of never-before-seen vehicles. There’s even an Aquaman skin, and here’s how to get it. The news doesn’t stop there, either, as data miners have quickly revealed a new batch of weapons and items that have been discovered. Fortnite Season 3 new weapons and items From what we can see thanks to a number of data miners, it looks like several fresh weapons and items have been added to Fortnite – some of which are a spin on previous guns, and others that are totally unique. Twitter users HYPEX and FortTory revealed a set of guns on June 17, soon after the patch rolled out, including the following: Charge Shotgun – Ocean’s Burst Assault Rifle – Kit’s Shockwave Launcher – Kit’s Charge Shotgun – Jule’s Drumgun – The graphic above shows that the Charge Shotgun can be found in five different variants, so one of them is bound to be part of the game’s meta for this season, presumably. The Drumgun isn’t included in that image, although it does appear to be gold and have “f=ma” on the side of it. Aside from those weapons, Lucas7Yoshi has confirmed that there will be Molotov Cocktails in the update – called Firefly Jars – as seen below. That’s not all either, with the full list below: Firefly Jars – Chug Splash (unvaulted) – The return of Chug Splashes will be a welcome one for the community, too, as they were previously one of the easiest ways to build up shield in a short space of time. They could also be used very effectively in Duos or Squads to help teammates. So, those are the big changes we know about so far in the weapons and items lists. We’ll continue to update this article with more information as and when it’s made available.

  • New Fortnite Season 5 release date and start time potentially leaked – Dexerto

New Fortnite Season 5 release date and start time potentially leaked Epic GamesA Fortnite leaker has seemingly revealed the start date, and time, of Chapter 2, Season 5 amid uncertainty about when it’ll be getting underway. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 is almost at its end as players are gearing up to, finally, take on Galactus alongside some of their favorite Marvel characters. As with the conclusion of any season, Fortnite players immediately start looking forward to what’s coming next – and everything that Epic Games will have in store for them. Typically, the final day of the battle pass is a good indicator for when a new season might start, but that has been changed a few times in Season 4. Add to that the rumors about a potential black hole blackout situation again, and the Fortnite community has been left incredibly confused about Season 5’s start date. However, that confusion could be cleared up if one leaker is correct with their claims about the next season. Read More: Fortnite leaker claims mods are coming soon – ShiinaBR, who has been a reliable leaker in the past, shared some information from another leaker who seems to have the scoop. “Season 5 could(!) start on December 2 at 7 am GMT, according to @tonxim,” she tweeted on November 22. “If this is true, this means the season would start 10 hours after the event takes place!” If correct, this would mean that Fortnite Season 5 would get underway on December 2nd at 2 am ET/11 pm PT/8 am CET. So, it could be a long day of Fortnite if you factor in attending the live event. Season 5 could(!) start on December 2 at 7am GMT, according to @tonxim. If this is true, this means the season would start 10 hours after the event takes place! — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) November 22, 2020 Additionally, the lengthy downtime would also play into the speculation that another blackout could happen in the meantime – making Fortnite inaccessible until the new season starts. Nothing, as of now, has been confirmed by Epic, so it’s worth taking things with a pinch of salt, but it does seem like we’re drawing ever close to the start date of Season 5 being confirmed.

  • New Fortnite Season 3 Easter Egg teases potential Tenet crossover event – Dexerto

New Fortnite Season 3 Easter Egg teases potential Tenet crossover event Epic Games / Warner Bros. PicturesEpic Games could be gearing up for an even bigger collaboration with venerable director Christopher Nolan as a new Tenet easter egg has appeared in the latest Fortnite Season 3 update. From John Wick to Earth’s mightiest heroes, Fortnite has collaborated with some of the biggest blockbuster franchises ever made. While in-game events have ramped up in 2020 with virtual concerts and map-flooding events, players have also been treated to a more leisurely experience. If you were playing on June 26, you would have noticed huge groups gathering at a big screen. Epic Games aired a virtual screening of popular Nolan flicks for gamers all over the world. US-based players were treated to Inception while those in the UK and Canada got to see The Prestige in-game. This collaboration between Nolan and Fortnite appears to be ramping up even more. Despite Tenet being delayed multiple times due to the ongoing global crisis, that hasn’t stopped new time-warping teasers from appearing in the battle royale. Like previous releases from the famed director, Tenet’s plot is all but shrouded in mystery for now. Time distortion, covert operations, and impending world war are the central themes but how might all that be integrated into Fortnite? Following the game’s v13.40 update, attentive players have spotted a mysterious new object on the map. If you drop into Steamy Stacks and search the basement of Unit 4, you’ll be able to see this easter egg for yourself An unknown shape is sitting atop an orange toolbox though no one quite knows what it symbolizes. When you approach the basement an ominous sound can be heard until you get close. Walking straight up to the easter egg will have music ramping up before cutting out just moments later. It’s unclear if this soundbite has been reversed or if any time-warping effects might emanate from the object in the near future. https://twitter.com/RaptureIsCool/status/1291244156019527681 Given Epic’s relationship with Nolan, however, this subtle introduction to Tenet could just be the first step in an upcoming crossover. Perhaps a limited time-bending mode is in the works or maybe even a special weapon of sorts. We’ll have to wait and see how this new collaboration unfolds. Tenet is expected to hit the big screen in the United States on September 3 in select cities. Meanwhile, many cinemas around the world will be premiering the new movie on August 26.

  • New Fortnite Rift Beacons activate ahead of v10.30 Update – Dexerto

New Fortnite Rift Beacons activate ahead of v10.30 Update Epic GamesTwo new Fortnite Rift Beacons have activated on the island, with major map changes set to hit the game with the release of the v10.30 Update. Throughout Season 10, Fortnite fans have noticed these metal contraptions appearing across the map, popping up at popular locations like Dusty Divot and Neo Tilted, and activating just days before the areas received major revamps. Now, two more of the mechanical contraptions have come online, possibly bringing back some fan-favorite locations in the process. On Monday, September 9, Rift Beacons which had been transported from Dusty Divot came online, with two massive beams shooting into the sky at Paradise Palms and Greasy Grove. It seems that Moisty Mire, the legendary swamp area which dominated the south-east corner of the map throughout the game’s early seasons will make its triumphant return, with Paradise Palms set to disappear, despite it being one of the most active drop points in the popular battle royale title. Those who are tired of the ice and snow are also set to be pleasantly surprised by the changes too, with Polar Peak set to thaw and Greasy Grove, home of the legendary restaurant and a number of houses, set to emerge. With the Rift Beacons now active, it’s safe to assume that these changes are only days away, but when they will actually take place remains to be seen, as the update which would bring those locations back to the map has seemingly been delayed. It was widely expected that Epic Games would launch the v10.30 Update on Tuesday, September 10, but the developers remained silent on social media so far, and with no announcement of the patch available yet, it appears that September 11 or 12 will be the more likely days for these two classic points-of-interest to reemerge.

  • New Fortnite NFL skins arriving before Season 5: Release date & time – Dexerto

New Fortnite NFL skins arriving before Season 5: Release date & time Epic Games/NFLThe National Football League and Epic Games have announced a continuation in their partnership, which is allowing for a slew of new NFL-themed skins in the mega-popular battle royale game Fortnite within the next few days. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] NFL skins in Fortnite are nothing new. Back in 2018, a slew of skins based on NFL football teams made their way into the game, much to the excitement of fans of the sport. Unfortunately, while the skins returned to the Item Shop in early 2020 due to the Super Bowl, they never really gained notoriety, with the only exception being when Epic gave players a free refund for the skins after the Washington Football Team’s name and logo was changed a few months back. Despite this, it seems like more NFL skins are on the way. New NFL Fortnite skins The two mega companies have recently announced that they will be “extending” their partnership to allow for more NFL skins in Fortnite. According to a joint press release from both companies, the new skins will be completely redesigned from their previous looks and will have a “more athletic” and “aerodynamic look and feel”. This new selection of skins will be called the Gridiron Gang Outfits and will represent all 32 NFL teams in both the AFC and NFC. Read more: Fortnite leaker claims mods are coming soon – In addition to the newly redesigned skins, fans will also have a chance to get their hands on a brand new Back Bling for their NFL skins, named Logo-a-go-go. While the name’s a bit of a tongue-twister, these new items are basically just the logo for the team you want to represent stuck onto the back of your character. Release Date and Time According to the company, the skins and back bling will be added to the Fortnite Item Shop in just a few days, on November 25. Like every other item added to the in-game store, it should appear when the store gets updated that day. Starting November 25, new re-designed NFL skins will be in the Item Shop! (via @zatheo_) — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) November 23, 2020 Currently, the big unknown is how long the items will be in the shop for. Surely, they’ll only be available for a limited time, however, the exact time frame is unclear. It could be in their for as short as a day or maybe a bit longer. Chances are though that Epic will give fans a few days to get their hands on it before pulling it from the store. Regardless, NFL fans should be ready to grab these items if they want it because with Fortnite, you never know when they’ll come back.

  • New Fortnite pistols leaked and potentially coming soon – Dexerto

New Fortnite pistols leaked and potentially coming soon Epic GamesEpic Games have rolled out their v12.40 update in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, and it appears that a previously leaked pistol might not be far from appearing in-game. Data miners have been hard at work since the patch went live on April 15, as per usual, with all eyes turning to the developer to see what’s changed in the battle royale title. Those who are regularly looking to get a leg up on everybody else and checking leaks may remember certain reveals from weeks gone by, where weapons have and haven’t gone on to be added. Well, there’s one particular pistol that just doesn’t seem to be going away. The leaked silent double pistols have appeared again in the Fortnite data files, following the release of the game’s latest patch. According to the Fortnite Wiki, the weapon appears to be a Spy Games exclusive, and can be found in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants. There’s no telling if the weapon might soon come to the full BR mode as well, at the time of writing. This discovery, which was posted to Twitter by leaker HYPEX shortly after the update’s downtime started up, might be the biggest hint yet that Epic is about to pull the trigger and add them to the loot pool. The old leaked silent double pistols are now added to the files pic.twitter.com/PVhMF7SkyF — HYPEX (@HYPEX) April 15, 2020 For those who have been waiting for these pistols to be added since they were first leaked, unfortunately, the data miner hasn’t put an approximate date on when they may be added. On top of that, Epic Games haven’t confirmed their arrival either, so it’s pretty much a waiting game. Other weapons have, of course, been leaked throughout Season 2 – with the likes of an Anti-Choppa weapon revealed by leakers, as well as a Scoped AR and Slug Shotgun. With potential additions seemingly stacking up on all sides, as well as new skins and cosmetics being revealed following the v12.40 update, there’s a chance that a lot will be coming to Fortnite in the not too distant future. As soon as things are confirmed, we’ll be the first to let you know!

  • New Fortnite movement bug in snowy areas is game-breaking – Dexerto

New Fortnite movement bug in snowy areas is game-breaking Epic GamesA new game-breaking movement bug has been found in Fortnite Battle Royale, which flares up when players traverse the snow biome of the map. Bugs and glitches are nothing new in the world of Fortnite, as the popular battle royale has always had its share of technical faults – even now halfway through its tenth season. While many of these issues can be considered minor, and their effects relatively inconsequential, there are a few that have the potential to fall under the ‘game-breaking’ category. One such case is a new movement glitch that has been discovered in the snowy parts of the Fortnite map, causing players to lose control of their mobility. Read More: Top Fortnite leaker’s Twitter suspended – The video below, captured and posted by Reddit user ‘CapoCracko,’ shows the full effects of this bug in action, which definitely looks as if it can be extremely frustrating to encounter. The glitch mainly prevents players from being able to walk or move normally in the snow biome of the map, particularly on or around mountains and glaciers. Attempting to walk or slide down a mountain leads to an odd floating animation, and as the gameplay footage above indicates, this type of movement can be nearly impossible to control. Read More: Fortnite x Splatoon crossover leaked – Thankfully, the bug seems to only affect movement, as the player was still able to build, fire his weapon, and even use a Shockwave Grenade – but the issue continued to persist throughout the whole sequence. As for what could possibly be causing such an issue to exist in the game, Reddit users chimed in with their own theories, such as ‘Dcs2012Charlie,’ who claimed that “the hit boxes of all the icebergs around frozen Greasy Grover are bugged.” Whatever the reason is, it’s definitely causing massive frustration, as numerous users commented recounting their own difficult experiences with the bug. Despite the fact that this glitch has been brought well into the spotlight on Reddit, Epic Games have yet to respond or comment on it, and it hasn’t been added to their community issues page. However, as more and more players continue to complain about the issue, it’s only a matter of time before it likely will get addressed.

  • New Fortnite leaks reveal in-game posters that tease Season 3 – Dexerto

New Fortnite leaks reveal in-game posters that tease Season 3 Epic GamesFortnite’s Season 3 update is right around the corner and new leaks in the game’s v12.50 update appear to confirm an underwater journey is on its way. Epic Games has treated players to a wide variety of climates over the years, and now, it looks like the heat will be turning up a notch in Season 3. After weeks of speculation, and even an underwater mechanic in the recent Astronomical event, new leaks seem to have confirmed the focus of the upcoming season. New Fortnite Season 3 leaked posters. Digging through the files of the latest patch, prominent Fortnite data-miner ‘FortTory’ uncovered three new files that tease what lies ahead. Labeled in the game’s code as “S13_Poster_Teasers,” the leaks reveal a summer-themed season as players get ready for a beach-bash. The first image shows Meowscles in waist-deep water with inflatable armbands covering each bicep. Meanwhile, the second leaked poster shows an entire house floating. Sea levels clearly having risen above the fence in the front yard. These are called: S13_Poster_Teasers! OUIR FIRST TEASERS FOR SEASON 13 pic.twitter.com/FpvKv8xrdx — FortTory – Fortnite leaks & news (@FortTory) April 29, 2020 Bananas are friends, not food. The last of the leaked posters depicts the Peely skin in a spot of bother. Harkening back to the 1975 Jaws movie poster, the banana-skin is seen floating over an enormous shark. There’s no telling just from this image alone if sharks will be added in the Season 3 update in some capacity. Though it would certainly fit the ocean-theme. All three posters include the same icon in the bottom left corner. A small, circular emblem containing an umbrella that appears to be on fire due to the heat. With motorboats already in the game, perhaps the Season 3 update will introduce a number of new water-based vehicles. From Jet skis to submarines, new vehicle opportunities are endless. After a recent delay, we now know exactly when Season 2 is set to end and when we can drop into the next major update.

  • Fortnite map changes coming soon as Mega Mall Rift Beacon activates – Dexerto

Fortnite map changes coming soon as Mega Mall Rift Beacon activates Epic GamesNew Fortnite map changes are expected to take place in Mega Mall after another Rift Beacon was added to the game and activated. Fortnite Battle Royale is known for its ever-changing landscape as Epic Games have made it a priority of theirs to keep the game fresh with regular updates for players to enjoy. Season X of Fortnite has seen many map changes such as the return of the original Dusty Depot to the game, and with the addition of the Rift Beacons many more are expected to take place. Since the mysterious orb in Loot Lake exploded, there has been changes to the map almost weekly such as the most recent addition of Tilted Town which replaced the newly-built Neo Tilted from Season 9. Many believe the next change on the list within Fortnite is expected to take place at Mega Mall after an image was shared by popular YouTuber Ali-A highlighting a new Rift Beacon which was added next to the building. A new feature is now in Mega Mall, said Ali-A, before telling fans to expect a map change soon, “Expect a similar change to Mega Mall as we saw to Neo Tilted last week!” A new Rift Beacon is now in Mega Mall… :eyes: Expect a similar change to Mega Mall as we saw to Neo Tilted last week! :scream: pic.twitter.com/PqWuCa9Ew9 — Ali-A (@OMGitsAliA) August 11, 2019 The YouTuber then predicted that it could be likely that Epic Games will implement new changes to the map weekly for the duration of Season X, “Looks likely that we could see a location change every week this season, which is cool.” Totally didn’t say Mega Mall would be safe this Season… :upside_down_face: Looks likely that we could see a location change every week this season, which is cool — Ali-A (@OMGitsAliA) August 11, 2019 Many fans are disappointed to possibly see the departure of Mega Mall which has been one of the more popular locations on the map since its introduction to Fortnite. If Ali-A’s predictions about the the weekly changes comes true then players could be left with a completely different map when it comes towards the season’s end. It’s now activated! (August 12) Fortnite Battle Royale fans can now see that the Rift Beacon at Mega Mall has been activated, which – judging by what happened when the same thing occurred at NEO Tilted – could spell the end for Mega Mall as we know it. Let’s take a look. What this means at this stage is unknown, but it’s highly likely that we could see a change to the destination in the near future – so keep your eyes peeled for when it kicks into gear. With the return of Moisty Mire, Anarchy Acres, and a number of previous locations apparently coming back some time soon, there’s no doubt that fans could see something appear here shortly. Or, perhaps something along the lines of Tilted Town. Last updated on August 12, 2019 at 10:08 (EST).
