New Fortnite leak reveals possible look at Season 6 skins Epic GamesA brand-new leak has possibly given Fortnite fans their first look at some new skins coming to the game during Season 6, and although they are more than likely not a part of the upcoming Battle Pass, they are still certainly interesting. New Fortnite skins are something that fans always look forward to when the next season starts up. Regardless of whether or not the skins will appear in the Battle Pass, allowing them to get a slew of content for just a few V-Bucks, the anticipation of new ones happens every time. Now, it appears that fans might have their first look at some upcoming skins if a new rumor is to be believed. According to multiple reports, Kevuru Games has uploaded some Season 6 skins to their official ArtStation account, which allows artists to show off any of projects that they are working on. The image itself is public and was originally uploaded to the site around eight days ago, on March 2, 2021. The image features eight different skins, which has lead some to believe these might be a part of the battle pass, however, this is reportedly inaccurate. Instead, they’ll more than likely be featured in the Item Shop, if they get released at all of course. All of them don’t seem to have an underlying theme as well but they are still interesting designs. One of the more interesting ones features a genie coming out of a lamp, with the lamp forming one of its feet. These Fortnite Season 6 skins were leaked via the studio’s ArtStation account. What we know: – Kevuru Games has created several Fortnite skins in the past – 99% NOT Battle Pass skins – A few or all of these could be scrapped conceptsWhat do you think? pic.twitter.com/bl9iNsI20W — Fortnite News (@FortINTEL) March 10, 2021 Especially in today’s age, plans change all the time, so fans shouldn’t get too attached to these skins until Epic officially announces them. There is some precedent to them being real, however. Kevuru Games has worked with Epic Games in the past for a few cosmetics, which does lead credence to the fact that they would work with them again. Whether or not these skins make their way into the game remains to be seen, however. Only time will tell whether or not it proves to be accurate.

New Fortnite leaks point to Dark version of Love Ranger skin and secret banner coming on Valentine’s Day – Dexerto
New Fortnite leaks point to Dark version of Love Ranger skin and secret banner coming on Valentine’s Day It looks like the first revealed cosmetic item for this year’s Valentine’s Day collection in Fortnite Battle Royale will be a Dark version of the Love Ranger outfit skin. Data miners have dug up and leaked new information found in game files that point to the Dark Love Ranger coming to Fortnite on February 14. The leaks show that the skin has been labeled as ‘CupidDark’ in the files and put in the same ‘Styles’ folder as the Skull Trooper and Tomatohead skins. This likely means that the Dark version of the skin will not be its own item but rather a cosmetic style, or variant, for the Love Ranger, much like the Purple Skull Trooper and Regal Tomatohead variants. Unfortunately, the files currently have a placeholder image in place of the actual banner, so what the banner will look like remains unknown at this point. The concept features the Love Ranger with a much darker skin texture and glowing purple light emanating from his eyes the carved markings on his body. @Dexerto and keep an eye on the Dexerto Fortnite page to keep updated on all Valentine’s Day leaks, upcoming cosmetic items, and more.

New Fortnite leak reveals how weapon “mod” attachments will work – Dexerto
New Fortnite leak reveals how weapon “mod” attachments will work Epic GamesAfter it was leaked that Epic Games were apparently experimenting with weapon mods/attachments in Fortnite a few weeks back, more details have been revealed about the system itself, including how it’ll possibly work when it gets implemented. The possibility of weapon mods in Fortnite is nothing new. Back in December, notable leaker HYPEX revealed that the idea was currently being tested by Epic Games but didn’t go into more detail about how it would work. Now he’s gotten his hands on more info. According to the data-miner, these mods seem to work like attachments in other shooters. Players will be able to drop and attach new mods at any point they want and that each attachment will act like an “item”. Presumably, this means that players will be able to come across different mods/attachments around the map and pick them up like other items. Some more info about this, thanks to @FunGamesLeaks for the help: – You can add the mod & drop it anytime, its planned to be an item – Weapons have specific valid mods that work with them (based on this function “”PrintValidWeaponMods””) – Weapons have multiple mod slots https://t.co/SPuyjeZj5B— HYPEX (@HYPEX) January 16, 2021 In addition, HYPEX also confirmed that there’s a function tied to the feature called “PrintValidWeaponMods”, which he said means that weapons have “specific valid mods” that work with each weapon. While not confirmed, this seems to mean that some weapons might have exclusive attachments/mods that can only be used on that gun and not others. Finally, he revealed that each weapon will have multiple mod slots, meaning players won’t be restricted to just one attachment while they make their way through each match. Unfortunately, no other details have been leaked about the system itself. There’s no telling what kind of attachments/mods people will see from the feature. Will players be able to attach optics, extended mags, or grips that reduce recoil/spread? Only time will tell at this point. There’s also no time frame for when the feature will hit Fortnite, or even a 100% confirmation that it’ll end up getting added. The game’s current season is set to end on March 15, so Epic might be able to squeeze out enough testing over the next few months so that they can debut the feature during the Season 6 launch, but that’s purely speculation. Of course, once more details become available, you can be sure Dexerto will let you know, so keep it locked here.

New Fortnite leak hints at possible Thanos skin coming soon – Dexerto
New Fortnite leak hints at possible Thanos skin coming soon Epic GamesIf a brand new leak is to be believed, the Marvel villain Thanos has a chance of returning to Fortnite as a skin sometime in the near future, possibly before the end of Season 5 considering the absolute insane amount of crossovers thus-far. If you were hoping that Season 5 of Fortnite would stop or slow down with the number of crossovers happening in-game then you might end up being a bit disappointed. A brand new leak has surfaced from Fortnite dataminer Mang0e on Twitter. According to him, Epic Games secretly added in an animation for an Extra Large Male skin into the game during the 15.40 update. He then goes on to explain that the only XL male skin currently in the game is Thanos, the Marvel character players got to control a couple years back during the Infinity War and Endgame crossovers. An animation for an Extra Large Male skin was added in 15.40. Oddly enough though, the only XL male skin that currently exists is Thanos. pic.twitter.com/RlE5qQL49F — Mang0e (@Mang0e_) February 18, 2021 This had led some to speculate that this means that Thanos could soon become available to use as a standard Fortnite skin. After all, with the amount of crossovers that have happened this season, it’s not that much of a stretch to think the Mad Titan himself could be making an appearance. For those that don’t remember, Thanos was added to the game as a part of the Infinity War and Endgame crossovers back in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Players were able to use him and his powerful Infinity Gauntlet in exclusive LTMs be completing certain tasks. It obviously goes without saying that if he is added to the Item Shop as a usable skin, players won’t be able to use the Infinity Gauntlet while playing as him. Still, his inclusion would be interesting to say the least. It’s also worth pointing out that it’s entirely possible that this animation isn’t for Thanos but for a new skin entirely, so players should obviously take this speculation with a grain of salt. That being said, hopefully it won’t be too much longer before fans find out exactly what this XL skin is and with the ending of Season 5 not too far away, that day is probably quickly approaching.

New Fortnite leak points to possible underwater vehicle coming soon – Dexerto
New Fortnite leak points to possible underwater vehicle coming soon A lot of new content is expected to be introduced throughout Season 8 of Fortnite Battle Royale, one of which could be a brand new vehicle. Date miners at Skin-Tracker have found new game files in the game’s back-end pointing to a new vehicle coming to Fortnite that may have some water-based functionality. The two files that have been discovered and leaked are both labeled with ‘Athena_OctopusSpawner,’ which hints at the new vehicle being named ‘Octopus.’ As the map continues to change over the coming weeks, and more water-based locations like Lazy Lagoon get added, such a vehicle could become a lot more viable and relevant. It’s also important to note that these Octopus files were found right under the files for the Pirate Cannons, which were just added at the start of Season 8, meaning that this new vehicle could be next on Epic Games’ to-do list. There is every reason to believe that at least one new vehicle will be added to Fortnite sooner rather than later. For one, the vehicle pool was purged at the start of Season 8, with the X-4 Stormwing, Shopping Cart, and All Terrain Kart (ATK) all having been vaulted, leaving only the Driftboard and Quadcrasher. We also know that Epic were working on another single-occupancy vehicle prior to the launch of Season 8, which was confirmed by EpicEricSW during a recent AMA on Reddit. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @Dexerto to keep updated on the latest Fortnite news, updates, leaks, and more!

New Fortnite leak hints at NPC drivers & boss vehicles in Season 6 – Dexerto
New Fortnite leak hints at NPC drivers & boss vehicles in Season 6 Epic GamesMassively popular battle royale game Fortnite might be getting some new features for its vehicles in the near future, including the possibility of NPC drivers or boss vehicles – if a recent code uncovered by a dataminer/leaker on Twitter is to be believed. If you’ve been hoping for more from the vehicles in Fortnite, then there may be some good news for you on the horizon. A leaker/dataminer named ‘Mang0e’ over on Twitter has discovered some unreleased “AI spawner capabilities for vehicles” in the Fortnite’s code that were added in during the game’s 15.40 update on February 16, 2021. While they don’t have an exact answer for what it could be, they do speculate that it could mean that NPC drivers could be coming to the game. If this is the case, this would help players get around the map while also giving them a way to fight back, without having to rely on another player driving the car. Some unfinished AI spawner capabilities for vehicles were added in 15.40. What could this mean? A couple of “”loose”” guesses: – NPC’s/Bots/Bosses could control vehicles in the future – There might be a vehicle that attacks players, like a “”boss”” vehicle (ex. helicopter in Rust) pic.twitter.com/oHWHGp0sZx— Mang0e (@Mang0e_) February 23, 2021 This theory has also grabbed the eye of another Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey, who claims he had the same exact thought when he first saw the code for himself. Magn0e also speculates that this code could mean that boss vehicles might be coming to the game, which would then attack players. Of course, both thoughts are pure speculation at this point, and the only thing we know for a certainty right now is that there’s code referencing AIs and vehicles in the game’s code. The code/idea may end up getting completely scrapped and never released. ” – NPC’s/Bots/Bosses could control vehicles in the future” This was the first thing I thought of when I saw those files, never tweeted about it though because I couldn’t confirm anything. I really like that second guess though, it would be unique and fun for Epic! Nice find! — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) February 23, 2021 That being said, this particular situation is interesting because, according leaker HYPEX, Epic is currently testing attachments/mods for vehicles in the game, which may be connected to this code in some way (although that may be reaching a bit). Nevertheless, it’ll be interesting to see if anything comes out of this in the future, and with Season 6 right around the corner, it hopefully won’t be too much longer.

New Fortnite Hamster Ball vehicle leaked for Season 8 – Dexerto
New Fortnite Hamster Ball vehicle leaked for Season 8 Epic GamesAn all-new vehicle has seemingly been discovered in the Fortnite Season 8 game files, following the end of Season 7 – and fans can expect a change in pace from the usual methods of transportation. On February 22, Epic Games hosted an Ask Me Anything question and answer session on Reddit – discussing topics about the upcoming Season 8. During the AMA, Lead Designer Eric Williamson in the AMA revealed that a new single-occupancy vehicle was being worked on. Now, there may be an answer to what Williamson was hinting at with a number of leaked game files from the long-awaited V8.00 patch notes ahead of Fortnite Season 8. According to the leak from FNBRHQ & TrixBR on Twitter, a folder labeled ‘hamster_ball’ can be seen under ‘DrivableVehicles’ – alongside the Hoverboard and Ship Cannon. Read More: Fortnite Season 8: What’s included in the Battle Pass? Skins, Challenges, Trailer and more – The ship cannon was revealed at the start of the Season 8 Battle Pass – showing players being able to fire their in-game partners across distances. UPDATE 8.0 LEAKED HAMSTER BALL VEHICLE Credit @FNBRHQ & @TrixBR If used! #Fortnite pic.twitter.com/OgF64O2CVN — Fortnite News :snowflake:️ (@FNBRHQ) February 28, 2019 It remains to be seen if the Hamster Ball will be around at the start of Season 8, will be released later in the season or could have something to do with a limited-time mode – its actual in-game appearance is not yet confirmed. However, with the removal of the X-4 Stormwings, players will need some way to traverse the overhauled Battle Royale island – and rolling about in a Hamster Ball might just be the next best thing.

New Fortnite glitch allows players to get inside the Tomato Temple tunnel – Dexerto
New Fortnite glitch allows players to get inside the Tomato Temple tunnel Fortnite Battle Royale is one of the most imaginative games you’re ever likely to lay your hands on thanks to Epic Games constantly adding weird and wonderful things, but players are still always on the lookout for unintended secrets. This is something that penguinzomby on YouTube has become something of a specialist at, regularly finding interesting glitches like the one that allowed players to get back to Spawn Island. Now the content creator has found another interesting little Easter egg that means players can get inside and explore the tunnel, or cave system, at Tomato Temple. While this glitch would likely get you in trouble if you were to use it on public servers, it’s fun to try in Playground mode if you want to have a look around or confuse your friends in a game of hide and seek! Penguinzomby explains that you need to head inside the tunnel on the south side of Tomato Temple with a shopping cart and then destroy two pieces of the roof and wall before building a ramp heading towards the ceiling. From there, you need to run into the top corner with your shopping cart and, if all goes to plan, you’ll find yourself transported inside the tunnel. We can’t help but be reminded of Minecraft when we see the way that the cave looks, and we’re sort of disappointed that penguinzomby didn’t start mining for diamonds! As we mentioned above, this glitch should not be used in public matches. If you choose to abuse it, you could find that your account gets slapped with a ban when the developers look into it.

New Fortnite Galaxy Spray has been leaked and will not be as expensive to obtain – Dexerto
New Fortnite Galaxy Spray has been leaked and will not be as expensive to obtain It appears that the next item of the exclusive Galaxy cosmetic set in Fortnite Battle Royalewill not be as expensive to get as the others. The item, called Galaxy Spray, is an in-game spray that features a llama with the distinctive starry design that all of the other Galaxy items share. However, unlike the other Galaxy items, players will be able to acquire this new spray without having to purchase a certain Samsung Galaxy Note mobile device. According to information found and leaked by data miners, this spray can be obtained by simply purchasing a special Fortnite-themed phone case for the Galaxy Note 9 phone. Read More: New details announced about $500,000 Secret Skirmish Fortnite event – schedule, format, players, prizes, and more – In fact, this hasn’t even been officially confirmed by Samsung, although the footage shown below, courtesy of prominent data miners ‘DieEpicBuddies,’ clearly shows that the phone case bundle exists. Once this spray does release in-game, it will be the fifth cosmetic item that belongs in the Galaxy set, along with the pickaxe, glider, back-bling, and the outfit skin itself. As mentioned above, the only way to acquire those items is to have an Epic Games account linked to a purchased Galaxy Note mobile device.

New Fortnite fire mechanic heats up battle royale in Season 3 – Dexerto
New Fortnite fire mechanic heats up battle royale in Season 3 Epic GamesFortnite Season 3 has arrived and while map changes and fresh cosmetics may have taken centre stage, a fiery new feature could just be one of the biggest shakeups going unnoticed. While Fortnite players around the globe fixate on Aquaman, all-new weapons, and even an expanded list of driveable vehicles, Season 3 has also made a few big adjustments under the hood. Aim assist nerfs have been a big talking point since the June 16 update. However, one new feature has gone mostly unnoticed until now. Fire behaves in a brand new way in Fortnite, and it could ruin your next match if you’re not up to speed. In earlier iterations of Fortnite, explosions would be over in a flash. If you weren’t in the blast radius, you wouldn’t be phased. In Season 3, however, certain explosions can have lingering effects. Fire will now start to burn wooden structures, gradually spreading across buildings and structures of all shapes and sizes. If you’re standing atop a wooden build and your layers gets set alight, it will all come tumbling down in a matter of seconds. This new gameplay feature can stem from propane tank explosions and even the new Firefly Jar item that acts as a molotov. Once a fire starts to spread, there’s seemingly no way to extinguish the burn. Additionally, players may also want to stand a few feet away from campfires in the latest season. Previously, you could stand in the blaze and continue healing. With these new changes, your character will catch fire almost instantly. Fire realistically spreading across wooden surfaces could just be the first of many new features made possible by the 11.50 update back in February. One that saw Fortnite transition to the Chaos physics system. It could be wise to mix up your structures moving forward. Relying on wood as your main building resource could come back to bite you. Fire can spread very quickly and cancel out your high-ground control before you know it. Be extra careful while jumping into the brand new season. There could be plenty more gameplay tweaks that weren’t addressed in the Season 3 patch notes.

Stats leaked for Fortnite’s new Flintlock pistol following v8.10 patch Epic GamesEpic Games have confirmed that the previously-leaked Flintlock pistol will be added soon to Fortnite, and the stats for it have already been leaked. UPDATE – March 18 According to the in-game announcements screen, the Flintlock pistol will be coming to Fortnite soon, and it’s very likely to happen on Wednesday, March 20, which is when the v8.11 update will be going live. The official in-game description of the weapon is: “A trusty sidearm. Be careful! It’s got a kick to it!” UPDATE – March 17 The in-depth statistics of the Flintlock pistol have apparently been leaked, according to game files data mined by Storm Shield One, which indicated that the weapon will apparently come in two variants – Common and Uncommon. The Uncommon variant will deal 90 damage at point-blank distance and 36 at long range, while the Common version will deal 86 and 34.4 damage respectively. The reload speeds of the two variants will be 3.045 seconds and 3.19 seconds respectively, and both weapons will use Heavy Bullets for ammo. The full set of leaked stats for both variants can be seen below, but keep in mind that these are subject to change by the time the weapon actually does get released. Original Story The hugely successful battle royale title received a brand new update for Season 8 on March 12 with the V8.10 patch – adding a brand new vehicle, weapon balancing and a whole host of other changes. While skins and other cosmetic items were already been leaked by eager data miners, it appears that they have also discovered a new weapon in the form of the Flintlock pistol. Eagle-eyed fans would have noticed its appearance in the Season 8 loading screen – being pointed to the sky by the Blackheart skin. It clearly fits in with the theming of Season 8 – as it is yet another addition that suits players with a Pirate-themed skin. New Fortnite exploit lets BRUTES move at super speed – Dexerto
New Fortnite exploit lets BRUTES move at super speed Epic GamesWith pro player Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani already discovering a way to make the mech suits leap across the map with ease, it appears that they can now be made to travel at outrageous speeds to allow for easy rotations around the map. Revealed by E11 member TheFortScientist, players can use this trick to rotate around the map at unbelievable speeds, covering huge areas of the island in astonishingly quick times. What makes this exploit even crazier is that only one player needs to be inside the mech to do, so this can be utilized in any game mode. TheFortScientist explains that by spamming the change seat button repeatedly, and hitting the jump button as well, you can fly across the map without having to exit the vehicle like other methods. The E11 member states that this is the easiest way to perform this trick, and is perfect for rotations, whether you’re trying to escape the storm or running away from a dangerous situation. This exploit is likely unintended, so don’t expect it to remain in the game forever, as Epic Games may decide to patch their popular battle royale game so players can’t take advantage of the easy-to-reproduce trick. Of course, most Fortnite players are hoping that the BRUTES are removed from the game entirely, but seeing as they’ve only been around for less than a week, this seems highly unlikely.

New Fortnite esports circuit revealed and it’s not the battle royale mode – Dexerto
New Fortnite esports circuit revealed and it’s not the battle royale mode ESL / Helena KristianssonESL and FACEIT have announced a new esports circuit that was developed in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite called “ESL Featuring Fortnite” that will feature game modes outside of Battle Royale. ESL is coming back to Fortnite esports in a new way by collaborating with UEFN developer 404 Creative and building competitive game modes like Capture the Flag and Hardpoint. The esports tournament organizer and 404 Creative will design team-based game modes across Fortnite’s custom islands and feature popular esports organizations like Karmine Corp, Team Heretics, ZETA Division, Dignitas, and a “mystery Brazilian team.” The first map in the project, Capture the Flag, is already live and players can sign up to play it competitively in weekly events through FACEIT. “ESL ft. Fortnite is a fresh take on competitive Fortnite, with an unprecedented team-based format. Utilizing the UEFN creator, this 4v4 experience will feature multiple game modes: Capture the Flag, Hardpoint, and Shrinking Zone. Pick from 6 unique specialist roles (limit one per team) to fit your playstyle,” it says on the Fortnite ESL website. How this will potentially overlap with the Esports World Cup remains to be seen. This new esports circuit is not endorsed by Epic Games, which chose BLAST over ESL and FACEIT to run its main competitive Rocket League and Fortnite circuits. Esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau claimed the ESL circuit launch was in response to Epic going with BLAST for its esports tournament needs instead of the Saudi-backed organization in a last-minute decision. Brian Krämer, Senior Director of Game Ecosystems and Growth Titles at ESL/ FACEIT Group, explained that the organizer has had the project in the pipeline for a while. “We’ve actually been looking at UEFN for a long time as we see its potential. We wanted to start with something that players love to compete in across various shooter titles to make it easier to access. All these modes can deliver hype comp matches, esp with team rivalries on top,” Krämer said. Whether this new esports circuit inside of a popular title will take off is still up in the air.

New Fortnite exotic weapons leaked: SMG and AR with special abilities – Dexerto
New Fortnite exotic weapons leaked: SMG and AR with special abilities Epic GamesReliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed 2 brand new exotic weapons that might be coming to the game in the near future, the Run Gun SMG and the Freeze AR, as well as another possible scrapped exotic. Here’s what you need to know about them, including what they do. A few weeks back, a slew of exotic weapons were leaked within Fortnite, including a ton of new SMGs, ARs, and others but at the time we didn’t know much about them. Now, some time later, we have full details on one of the weapons that got leaked, as well as a brand new one we hadn’t heard about previously. Because they’re exotic, they all have special abilities that normal weapons don’t, allowing them to stand out from the crowd. Of course, these abilities also mean they’ll be highly sought after if you come across them in-game. The first is the Run Gun SMG, which was previously leaked via datamining a few weeks back. While we didn’t know anything about them at the time, we now know via notable leaker HYPEX that it actually increases your character’s walking and running speeds. Upcoming Exotic Weapons: – Run Gun SMG: increases your running/walking speed (i had a footage with @ximton but i deleted it and i’m too lazy to record it again) – Freeze AR: gives chiller trap effect to other players – Slurp Bazooka: maybe scrapped— HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 29, 2020 HYPEX also points out that the model in-game for the Run Gun appears to be the currently vaulted Rapid Fire SMG, which was first introduced during Chapter 2: Season 2. It’s unknown whether or not this will change once the weapon becomes available in-game or if it’ll stick to this model. In addition, a new Freeze AR was also leaked, which apparently “gives chiller trap effect to other players.” The Chiller is a currently vaulted trap that adds ice blocks to affected players feet, which allows them to slip and slide around with very little control. Beyond that, HYPEX also leaked something called the Slurp Bazooka. No description was given for this, other than the fact that it might be scrapped, but if the name is anything to go by, then it could act similar to the bandage bazooka, but instead of firing bandages, it fires Slurp Juices. Here’s the Run Gun exotic SMG from the previous tweet, recoded 2 clips with @ximton for y’all.. It makes you walk/run faster and its still unfinished pic.twitter.com/inINji0g8x — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 29, 2020 Unfortunately, the only footage available is for the Run Gun SMG. It’s also important to point out that there’s no release date for any of these weapons, meaning they could come out within a couple days or not at all, so you shouldn’t get your hopes up if one of these sounds interesting. Here’s hoping we learn more in the near future.

New Fortnite physics bug lets players literally walk through walls – Dexerto
New Fortnite physics bug lets players literally walk through walls Epic GamesA bug has been discovered in Fortnite that allows players to walk right through fully built walls at will, following the arrival of the game’s new physics system in the v11.50 update. One of the biggest features of Fortnite is the ability to build structures. It gives the game a deep tactical element, allowing players to get an advantage with more than just aim. As in any game, fans have been pushing mechanics to their limits and discovered a bug that makes it possible to ‘phase’ through walls – which basically means you can poke through built structures. However, with the game’s latest update things have gone even further, and players can now simply walk through enemy walls. Twitter user Jahlynz was the first to share this new glitch, stunning Fortnite fans with possibly the most powerful bug yet. They showed off a video of the trick, where all you need to do is phase through a wall for a moment, then you can freely run through that wall, no matter what you are currently holding. Other users claimed this also works with cones, while the majority were floored by the discovery, which will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the game. You can walk through fully built walls if you phase them for long enough pic.twitter.com/Ku3Jr0mube — Jahlyn (@Jahlynz) February 5, 2020 Being able to run through builds will change gameplay a ton because now nowhere is really safe, and players will have to be aware of enemies coming from every angle, sometimes without any warning. This bug only appeared with the release of new Fortnite patch v11.50, which was released on Feb 5, so it’s probable some new changes allowed this to happen, with the new game physics system being the most likely culprit. Many fans will be hoping that Epic will be on the case and fix this glitch as soon as possible. In the meantime, players will no doubt be making use of this bug and doing their best ghost impressions as they run through walls.

New Fortnite easter egg hints at more major map changes – Dexerto
New Fortnite easter egg hints at more major map changes Epic GamesFortnite fans believe they have spotted a new easter egg that could have dire consequences for the current battle royale island. Season 8 only got underway on February 28 as brand new locations appeared alongside the towering volcano that replaced Wailing Woods in the north-west corner of the map. However, more changes to the map could be afoot in the near future as fans believe they have stumbled onto the first hint in the form of a hidden easter egg that may spell disaster for some of the newest points of interest. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user GrubbyTrack showcased a photo they discovered back at the start of Season 8 which shows the north-west part of the map flooded by water. The newly-formed Volcano, which appears to be ready to erupt, remains as a part of the photo but Lazy Lagoon to the north-east appears to be no more – with the pirate ship that sits in the middle being washed away. The post immediately led to speculation about the image possibly teasing the next big in-game event that leads to a new set of changes to the Fortnite map. However, having water wash over the map is not a new theory and was one of the most popular fan theories behind the launch of Season 8 – alongside a potential map-shattering earthquake. Yet, neither of those ideas turned out to be absolutely correct, as earthquake tremors did occur and left holes in the ground across the map that currently remain in-game. Could fans have been one season off with a Tsunami-type event ringing in the start of Season 9 in a few months time? It remains to be seen. Stay tuned to Dexerto for all the breaking news and update about Fortnite.

New Fortnite emote concept would allow players to proximity chat in-game – Dexerto
New Fortnite emote concept would allow players to proximity chat in-game A Reddit user has come up with a concept for Fortnite Battle Royale that would allow players to chat in-game. Currently, unlike other popular battle royale titles, Fortnite does not have a feature that allows players to proximity chat or talk to anyone in-game outside of their own team. However, this new concept, created by user ‘CGGamer‘ would add an emote called ‘Megaphone’ to the game would temporarily transmit the player’s voice in-game to anyone that is within earshot. Essentially, once a player activates the emote, their in-game character will pull out a megaphone, and then anything the player says will be blared through it to anyone nearby. Below is an image of how the emote would look like in-game, if it were to be added as an option. Many would likely discount the chances of something like this being added to Fortnite, especially since proximity chatting has never been seriously considered by Epic Games. A large portion of the Fortnite player-base is children, and having an in-game chatting feature could put them at risk of hearing some obscene things. However, adding an emote could at least minimize some of those risks, especially since the emote would have a temporary effect and wouldn’t work as instantly as a push-to-talk feature. Epic could also regulate the usage of the emote, such as how many times it can be activated, and hold a zero-tolerance stance against those who decide to use it irresponsibly.

New Fortnite Duos world record set for most kills in a single game – Dexerto
New Fortnite Duos world record set for most kills in a single game One of the longest standing world records in Fortnite has finally been beaten, as former Cloud9 pro Christian ‘Criz’ Rizk and partner ‘gator’ have overtaken the Duos record. Held by FunkBomb and Nagezz since March 2018, and later matched by former OpTic players Baldy and WizKay in April 2018, the previous record for most kills in a Duos match was 41 (on PC). The console record is a touch higher, held by NICKMERCS and Nioly with 46 (which is the longest standing record, since January 2018) and while that record still stands, the PC record has been pipped by a single kill, now up to 42. 600Criz and gator pulled off the crazy high kill game on February 16, 2019, making it only the second world record to be beaten since the new year, following a new record for Duo vs Squads, also on February 16. While it wasn’t quite enough to overtake the console record, the PC records are held separately, due to the significant differences between each platform. You can watch Criz and gator’s impressive, world record-breaking, gameplay below. Watch World Record Duo 42 from Criz on www.twitch.tvConsidering that the previous record of 41 has stood since March 2018, Criz and gator could well hold on to their top spot for some time, but there’s no shortage of top talent always on the hunt for new records. You can see the full updated list of world records in Fortnite here. The new record also means that no single player currently holds more than one world record at the time of writing, but France still holds the most, with seven world records belonging to French players.

New Fortnite concept weapon would damage opponents over time – Dexerto
New Fortnite concept weapon would damage opponents over time A concept weapon designed by an avid Fortnite fan would deal damage to opponents over a period of time, rather than immediately. The weapon is named the ‘Dart Gun’ and, instead of firing bullets or explosives, would fire a dart at unsuspecting enemies. The dart would then begin to deal damage to the opponent over a specified period of time, instead of inflicting its full damage immediately upon impact. Because the weapon deals damage over time like Fortnite’s storm, the creator of the concept has also suggested calling it the ‘Storm Gun’ to mirror the dangerous climate. This weapon could be used to attack enemies who haven’t spotted you, dealing damage to them without the need to fire your weapon again. It could also be used to finish off weak or downed opponents without requiring you to advance on their position, by shooting them once and letting the dart’s powers finish them off. The concept was designed and posted on the Fortnite Battle Royale subeddit by a user named ‘gone_fantastic’. Fans of the popular battle royale game commented that they would like to see it introduced to the game. concept skin based on Marvel’s Iceman character, while another player designed a new storm concept that would improve competitive matches of Fortnite.Unfortunately, the interesting Dart Gun is just a concept created by a fan, and there are currently no plans for the weapon to be added to the franchise by Epic Games.

New Fortnite discovery tab mocked by players for looking like YouTube – Dexerto
New Fortnite discovery tab mocked by players for looking like YouTube Epic GamesFortnite players are mocking the upcoming discovery tab update for looking like YouTube, which allows you to follow creators. Here’s how the player community expressed their views on the new look. Epic Games hosted their first State of Unreal 2024 showcase on March 20th, where they revealed plans for future Fortnite updates and their latest Unreal Engine 5.4. A part of those updates was a revamped look at Fortnite’s discovery tab, where players will soon be able to follow map creators as well as head to their social media pages straight from their creator page within the game. While several map makers like Lachlan, SypherPK, and more showed their excitement for the highly requested feature, many players mocked the new discovery tab for looking like YouTube. “What’s with this YouTube a** layout?”, said one such player. “This is so horrible, I miss when it was just Battle Royale modes, with simple UI”, said another reminiscing about early Fortnite days. A third user commented, “No offense to small creators but I hope there has to be some sort of BIG requirement to do this because this can be really bad.” On the other hand, several users compared the new discovery look to Roblox’s UI for looking “very much like Roblox” at present. Fortnite players in Chapter 5 have had major issues with the UI changes, with some calling it disgusting, and others simply saying it’s an “unnecessary change” with the game. Although Epic has rolled back on a couple of changes like the removal of Item Shop’s timer from the UI and more. Still, the player community continues to look forward to a cleaner UI experience in the coming seasons as the present one has made Fortnite look more and more like a metaverse, to what once was a much simpler Battle Royale back in the OG days.

New Fortnite Battle Royale Concept Allows Users To Create Their Own Skins – Dexerto
New Fortnite Battle Royale Concept Allows Users To Create Their Own Skins A reddit user made a new website where gamers could customize their Fortnite Battle Royale character’s appearance to make a totally new skin. The website that allows users to create their own skin comes as a concept for Fortnite developers at Epic Games to consider allowing this kind of customization in game. The current skin system in Fortnite features an in game store with a select number of skins, emotes, and accessories that updates daily. Some rare skins in the Fortnite in game store fall under a special “featured items” area that may last multiple days. As things currently stand, buying skins from the store is one of two ways to unlock new gear, the other comes from purchasing the seasonal battle pass and leveling up, which will cost you 950 V-Bucks (about $9.99). Reddit user Maux01 took matters into his own hands and designed a website that would allow fans to create their own skins. The site allows players to pick and choose parts of characters already in game to create a new, unique skin. As the concept site is further developed there will likely be even more options. For now this remains one of the only ways players can design their own skins. The site is currently in its Beta version but here is a screenshot from the sites designer, Maux01: https://www.reddit.com/user/Maux01 The proposed concept would throw a wrench into the current skin system in Fortnite. Epic Games continues to develop skins and other gear that users have clamored for, but allowing players to design their own skin could lead to copyright issues and a reduction in sales. At the current rate developers are releasing new content it seems unlikely that they would attempt to integrate the proposed system of skin creation.

New Fortnite Chapter 2 festive loading screens leaked – Dexerto
New Fortnite Chapter 2 festive loading screens leaked A Fortnite leaker has revealed what appears to be the new, upcoming loading screens for the battle royale title, and they have a very festive theme for the holiday season. Fortnite often releases new loading screens to give players some visual content while they’re waiting for their match to start up, usually pertaining to some of the new content they’re releasing at the time or any important external events. One of those important external events is the holiday season, with Christmas becoming a Fortnite event in its own right, and these new loading screens get right into the spirit of things. Thanks to leaker HYPEX, we can see the three new loading screens coming to the game and they all have a certain air of Christmas cheer around them. One of them depicts a Santa-hat-wearing Bulldog standing outside a Farmer’s Market as snow falls around him, while the other two look like an ornamental Christmas decoration and a group of sinister-looking nutcrackers. Fortnite Christmas loading screens leaked These new festive loading screens will likely be joined by weapon wraps, character skins, emotes, and more in the coming weeks. It is unknown, however, when each of them will be available to unlock in-game. Usually, they’re released on a weekly basis alongside the challenges, with a hidden clue included every time. Fortnite is never afraid to release festive content, always embracing this time of year with loading screens, skins and even new areas of the map to explore in recent years. You’ll see them do similar things around other major events, such as at Halloween or with the release of major Hollywood blockbusters – for example, Avengers: Endgame and the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Of course, these new loading screens are yet to be confirmed by Epic Games, but HYPEX has a notoriously good track record at getting these things right and their release seems more likely than not.

New Fortnite Chapter 3 weapons and stats leaked – Dexerto
New Fortnite Chapter 3 weapons and stats leaked Epic GamesAs players wait for Fortnite Chapter 3 to begin, leaks for some brand new weapons have begun to arrive. It definitely seems like Fortnite Chapter 3 will be kicking off soon. While we don’t know the exact date, various leaks have started to appear online. In particular, we’ve seen info come out about two new weapons in the final days of November 2021. Fortnite Chapter 3 new leaked weapons Upcoming “”Throwable Axe”” Item. No other info about it tho, just the model of it! pic.twitter.com/GBVEMPfJ6j — HYPEX (@HYPEX) November 17, 2021 Both of the weapon leaks featured here come from Fortnite leaker HYPEX on Twitter. The first is a new “Throwable Axe” item, which certainly seems capable of dealing some kind of damage. Based on the name, we predict you’ll be able to throw it at enemies – but despite seeming clear cut, we’ll have to wait and see exactly how it operates. The other weapon we have a full list of stats for, but unlike the Axe, no in-game image to show off just yet. HYPEX suggested it could be some kind of hopped up Flint-Knock Pistol, which does make sense based on the posted stats, which are similar to the existing weapon. An Upcoming Chapter 3 Weapon that Epic are working on sounds like a buffed FlintKnock (Common to Legendary) – Clip size: 5 – Fire Rate: 1 – Damage: 27-32 – Headshot Multiplier: x4 – Reload Time: 5.5-6.5 seconds – It has a double weapon delay of: 1.25s – It pushes you back/up— HYPEX (@HYPEX) November 23, 2021 It comes with a five-round clip and fires one shot at a time, just like the Flint-Knock. While it deals less damage, you won’t have to reload it after every shot. That being said, when you do have to reload, it will take you longer — 5.5 to 6.5 seconds. There is much less damage per shot on this weapon, but again, you don’t have to reload after each one. That, and it features a 4x headshot multiplier, which will pump the damage up above 100. Of course, these are just leaks right now and we can’t confirm anything without official news from Epic. HYPEX has been reliable in the past though, so we’ll just have to wait until the launch of Chapter 3 to know for sure.

New Fortnite bug allows players to create Infinity Blade-style destruction – Dexerto
New Fortnite bug allows players to create Infinity Blade-style destruction Fortnite has seen its fair share of game-breaking weapons, but a bug in the game can give players the ability to become a walking hazard with the help from a Launch Pad. Players might recall the massive amounts of damage the Infinity Blade would deal to structures before it got Vaulted. Well, the bug in question could actually make a player more volatile than the Mythic weapon. Reddit user Zacki37 posted a video that showed how using a Launch Pad under a Zipline will give the player a bizarre effect that destroys buildings and objects around them. Although the bug is difficult to reproduce, Zack gave some insight on how to recreate the glitch which seems pretty straightforward. “You bounce and at the same time, press ride the zipline. It’s hard because sometimes your bounce pad will brake but I did it with the second try,” Zacki37 said. In the video, Zack put a Launch Pad right next to a low-hanging Zipline. While they’re jumping onto the platform, the command to enter the Zipline briefly appears. Read more: Fortnite World Cup: Epic Games under fire for unfairly letting some players practice on custom servers – Players will know they activated the bug by having the animation of the Zipline over their character’s model while in mid-air. When they land, a pulsating blue effect will be emanating from the player that wreaks havoc on the surrounding environment. But in Zack’s case it will eventually create a maelstrom from within the player, breaking every destructible object in its path. Although players have noted that a similar Fortnite bug appeared in the past, something this destructive to the game could put it high on Epic Games’ priority list to fix.

New “Fly Explosives” LTM Featuring Jetpacks May Be Coming Tomorrow in Fortnite – Dexerto
New “Fly Explosives” LTM Featuring Jetpacks May Be Coming Tomorrow in Fortnite A brand new Limited Time Mode called ‘Fly Explosives’ may be coming soon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Epic Games has hinted at adding an explosive-based LTM modeled after the previous ‘High Explosives’ modes, but with the added dimension of aerial combat. There had been indications that ‘Fly Explosives’ was coming to Fortnite ever since June, when FNBRLeaks discovered files that contained a detailed in-game description of the LTM. Description of the game mode is as follows: This mode combines the explosive fun of the High Explosives LTM and the vaulted Limited Time Item Jetpack. Take to the skies and blast everyone else back to the lobby!Want to fly? Jetpacks can be found as floor loot – check those attics and basements!Looking to blow something up? All explosive-type weapons can be found in this mode, usually hidden within a Treasure Chest or Supply Drop.‘Splode the Enemies Send them all back to the lobby to earn the Victory Royale.LTM is available in: Solos Duos Squads On July 30, a brand new image has been added to the game files that appears to be the new loading/background screen for the LTM: While there has not been any official announcement as the release date for this LTM, all indications are that it will be released on July 31 as part of the v5.10 Content Update. Epic Games representative ‘EpicDustyDevo’ commented this on the Fortnite BR Reddit page just a few days ago. “We’ll have something new flying your way next week.” Releasing ‘Fly Explosives’ with the v5.10 Content Update would make perfect sense for Epic, considering that the new and improved Guided Missile is also making a return to Fortnite as part of that update. This would make the weapon instantly available in the new LTM, allowing players to try out all of the major balancing changes and adjustments it has received.

The rocket, located in the villain lair next to Snobby Shores, has been somewhat mysterious since it was introduced to the game at the start of Season 4. There has been a great deal of speculation about whether, and when, the rocket will launch, and recent leaks seem to suggest that it will happen sooner rather than later. The account has also predicted that the launchable rocket will be made available at 18:00 CET on Tuesday, June 19th. New Firefly Jar item added to Fortnite Season 3 – Dexerto
New Firefly Jar item added to Fortnite Season 3 Epic GamesEpic Games have added a brand new item to Fortnite Battle Royale in Season 3, called a Firefly Jar, and players are already getting to know how it works in-game. Season 3’s kick off saw a number of fresh weapons, items, and locations were already revealed once the v13.00 patch went live on June 17, including the Charge Shotgun, a completely reshaped map to play on, and more. However, since that time information on a new Firefly Jar weapon had also been leaked, but not officially made its way into the battle royale mode. Yet, that’s all changed. Read More: Can you play Fortnite on iOS 14 beta? – Fortnite player, and data miner, HYPEX had previously released an image of the item, and now has shared a first look video of the item. New exclusive HONOR Guard skin is coming soon to Fortnite – Dexerto
New exclusive HONOR Guard skin is coming soon to Fortnite It looks like the Samsung Galaxy skin will now have some competition as the most exclusive Fortnite skin after the announcement of a brand-new exclusive HONOR Guard skin. Fortnite is no stranger to exclusive skins through various partnerships, with the Samsung Galaxy and PlayStation exclusive skins being some of the most notable examples, meaning it’s no surprise to see yet another one announced. Through an exclusive partnership with Honor UK, owners of the new HONOR View20 phone will be able to pick up a new Fortnite skin and it looks incredible. The skin is being released in conjunction with the View20 being the first Android ever to run at 60 FPS. The ability of the phone to run the game at such a high framerate is especially notable given that this feature was only given to iPhones back in December 2018. Read More: Fortnite v7.20 Content Update: Sneaky Snowman, vaulted items and patch notes for January 22 – In addition to the new skin itself, Honor UK shared some stats on the new phone to let players know just what they would be in for with this new phone. Boasting an average FPS of 59.13 and a low frame rate percentage of just 0.2%, it seems as though playing with the new View20 won’t hinder mobile players to levels seen in the past. There’s no word on whether the skins will be available immediately upon release of the phone or if they will come in the days and weeks following, much like the exclusive Samsung Galaxy skins. The phone will be available to purchase in the UK on January 23.

New Eye of The Storm Tracker Backpack Item Added to Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto
New Eye of The Storm Tracker Backpack Item Added to Fortnite Battle Royale A brand new item has been added to Fortnite Battle Royale, which allows players to see exactly where the storm is going to go ahead of time. *Update – Epic Games Dev Says New ‘Eye of The Storm Tracker’ Was Accidentally Added to Fortnite Battle Royale As with most battle royale games, it is very important to keep an eye on the storm in order to avoid unfortunate death in Fortnite. The storm, or gas in other games like PUBG, is used to push the remaining players together on the map, so as to avoid too little action. More: Fortnite Battle Royale Challenge Guide – “Search between a Bench, Ice Cream Truck, and a Helicopter” – But the storm circle area can also be used to a players advantage, by getting there early you can of course wait on the edge for unsuspecting opponents who are trying to move in. This new addition to Fortnite will help players do just that, as well as plan in advance their movements on the map, so to avoid losing health or even dying in the storm. The new ‘Eye of The Storm Tacker’ is a loot item, which players can find around the map, similar to who you would find weapons and shields etc., and will show them the exact path of the storm on their map. You can see it action below thanks to reddit user u/SpicyBravo. This item will be particularly useful for one of the Week 4 challenges of course, which tasks players to ‘Visit the center of different Storm Circles in a single match’. It is also a sneaky surprise addition to the game, as there was no mention of it in recent patch notes, and Epic Games haven’t made an announcement about it on their official channels at the time of writing. New Emotes Leaked Coming to Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto
New Emotes Leaked Coming to Fortnite Battle Royale A set of unreleased emotes have been discovered in the game files for Fortnite following the most recent update, v5.30, and have been leaked online. With every new update, Epic Games, developer of Fortnite, adds new items and changes to the game to keep it fresh – as well as to sell players new cosmetics. As well as character skins, emotes are one of the most popular in-game purchases, giving your character some seriously wacky moves to perform in the lobby, spawn island or mid game. With patch v5.30, six new emotes have been discovered, by trusted data miners, TwoEpicBuddies. Data Miners Claim Flamethrower and Quad Launcher Weapons Are Coming to Fortnite Battle RoyaleBecause these emotes aren’t yet available in game, there is no footage of what they look like fully, only these previews with their names. UPDATE – Data miners have leaked the rarities and in-game footage (with audio) of these six emotes. Check them out by clicking here. As well as new cosmetic items, there has also been a number of other leaks coming from game files as part of v5.3. A new ‘Shockwave’ grenade has been discovered, which looks particularly intriguing, as it is suspected to be a legendary version of the impulse grenade. New Disco Domination LTM is coming to Fortnite – Dexerto
New Disco Domination LTM is coming to Fortnite A brand new Limited Time Mode called Disco Domination is coming to Fortnite Battle Royale in the near future. The Message of the Day screen in the pre-game menu of Fortnite displays this new LTM with an image of several characters dancing under a disco ball on a dance floor. The caption of the mode is listed as “Capture and defend Dance Floors around the island using emotes to earn points.” Although no further details have yet been provided, the premise of the LTM seems simple enough – teams of players will have to look for, capture, and defend dance floors around the currently floating island in Fortnite and then do dance emotes on it to earn points. Although the exact format of this Disco Domination mode is yet to be seen, it is set to join a small list of LTMs in Fortnite that have an alternate scoring system than the usual. The recent Getaway LTM involved players completing diamond heists to secure match victories, while the Score Royale mode awarded points to players for collecting coins and opening containers, in addition to eliminating other players. Most other LTMs keep the usual battle royale format but change one or more aspects of the game, such as adding more players to teams or only featuring specific types of weapons or items.

New Datafiles Suggest that More Backpack Items are Coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale – Dexerto
New Datafiles Suggest that More Backpack Items are Coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale New datamined Fortnite files have revealed that more types of the new Backpack items could be coming to the game’s popular Battle Royale mode. With the ‘Jetpack’ and ‘Eye of the Storm’ Tracker Backpacks both having already been added to the game, it appears that there are numerous others on the way. The new Backpack items in Fortnite are very similar to the Back Bling, but are found in-game and have abilities, as opposed to being merely cosmetic items available for purchase in the Item Shop. The Jetpack and ‘Eye of the Storm’ Tracker were both added via the v4.2 content update on May 22nd, although the latter was announced to have been added by mistake. Popular Fortnite YouTubers ‘TwoEpicBuddies’ have since unearthed game files that suggest that there are more of these Backpack items to come. In addition to the two that have already been seen in the game, there are potentially seven others that could be added into the game at some point, including the: Carmine Pack, Glider, Glider Pack, Intel Pack, Medic Pack, Missile Battery, and Test Pack. It is not yet clear whether if all or any of these Backpack items will be added into the game, and whether they will be part of the regular game modes or a Limited Time Mode. Until this information is officially announced or confirmed, these files should be treated as merely a speculative leak. However, ‘TwoEpicBuddies’ have proven to be very reliable with most of the datafiles they have mined in the past.

New ‘Cube’ In-Game Event Discovered in Fortnite – Details and Sound Files – Dexerto
New ‘Cube’ In-Game Event Discovered in Fortnite – Details and Sound Files Season 4’s rocket launch was a major event for Fortnite fans, and it looks like another similar event is on the way for the conclusion of season 5. Data miners, despite Epic Games’ best efforts to discourage them, have been busy digging through the game files from the recent v5.30 update. On top of the exhaustive list of leaks, new items and challenges, a new event has been discovered called ‘Cube’, and seems to feature a rocket as well, similar to Season 4. Within an events folder, six files have been discovered, all with the word ‘Cube’ included, the leak comes courtesy of FNBRLeaks. Files for the new ‘Cube’ event. The very bottom file is called ‘Rocket_BigBang’ – which is a daunting name, and suggests something possibly related to season 4’s rocket launch is in the works. At the time of writing however, this is the only information available on the Cube event, and it is wrapped in mystery, giving fans plenty speculate over as excitement for season 6 builds. The other file names are equally as vague, but there is something to do with a lightning beam and a cube ‘slam’, so potentially a large object is set to land on the Fortnite map. A video with all the sound files related to the Cube has also been posted to YouTube. More leaks released earlier also indicated that the end of season 5 would be delayed, from what was initially set to be September 25, to now October 2. In typical fashion, Epic Games are expected to have grand plans for the season’s ending, as they went all out with the transition from 4 to 5. New data reveals how much Fortnite viewership on Twitch has declined in recent months – Dexerto
New data reveals how much Fortnite viewership on Twitch has declined in recent months New reports about Fortnite’s viewership on Twitch suggest that the game that has dominated all competition in 2018 is beginning to lose its stranglehold on the top spot. According to new data that was released my StreamElements, released just before TwitchCon 2018 got underway, Twitch viewership for Fortnite peaked in July and has been on a slow but steady decline ever since. Before you start writing up you obituary for the Epic Games title, it’s worth noting that, while viewership has declined somewhat, Fortnite is still comfortably ahead of virtually every other game on the streaming platform owned by Amazon. However, the data does show that viewership in September was the lowest that it has been since February and around 30% lower than it was in July, dropping from the dizzying heights of 151.9 million hours watched to 105.8 million last month (a number that would still be record breaking for just about every other game). Fortnite viewership hours skyrocketed from 65.5 million in February to 118.6 million in March – the same month that Ninja smashed the concurrent viewership record for a solo streamer while playing with Drake. The game has remained untouchable ever since but interest seems to be shifting, especially with the release of new games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Blackout. Blackout’s incredibly popular beta took place in September, which might explain some of Fortnite’s dip in viewership for the month. With ongoing competitions like the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Series, it’s still surprising to see such a drop-off and, as StreamElements suggests, this could be an ‘early warning sign’ of things to come. StreamElements’ data concurs with recent findings from Thinknum that showed the average daily viewer count had dropped from 305,000 in July to 182,000 in October, even dipping below 90,000 at times in late September. Whether this is a worrying sign for Epic Games and the Fortnite team is uncertain, but it definitely shouldn’t be taken as a sign that the game is dying – we’re willing to bet that Fortnite will be on top, or very near to the top, of the Twitch charts for quite some time. You can read the full report from StreamElements here.

New crazy Fortnite glitch allows players to get under the map by using a Mounted Turret – Dexerto
New crazy Fortnite glitch allows players to get under the map by using a Mounted Turret It seems as though once one glitch in Fortnite Battle Royale gets fixed, another one pops up in its place as players have found a new bug in the game that allows them to get underground. The glitch is relatively easy to exploit and it requires the use of a Mounted Turret placed on a single floor structure that needs to be built into a slanted area on the ground. Once a player has a Mounted Turret in their inventory, they then need to find a point outdoors that has a slanted surface. A floor structure then needs to be built at the lowest point of the slope, which is where the angle of the slope flattens out. At this point the edge of the floor structure should be slightly visible but most of it should have automatically been built into the ground area where the slope begins to rise. Once that is done, the game will register a presence of a floor there and allow for a Mounted Turret to be placed upon it, although the result will have the turret buried halfway into the slanted ground. At this point, the player then needs to enter the turret and immediately exit it, which will trigger the bug to activate and thrust the player into the underground area of the map. It’s important to note that the glitch will not work if the player enters the turret and begins to swing it around; this will only work if the player enters then exits the turret without doing any motions in between. A video of this process can be seen below, courtesy of YouTuber ‘penguinzomby,’ who claims to have reported the glitch to Epic Games prior to publishing the video. As the video above shows, the resulting effect of exploiting the glitch is rather remarkable, allowing the player to access virtually anywhere on the Fortnite map completely submerged underground and out of sight of all enemy players. What’s more stunning about this is that the underground player can still very much affect what’s going on above-ground, which the YouTuber demonstrates by activating a Boom Box and destroying structures. If Epic are aware of this bug, which is very likely the case, then it should be patched in the very near future. Those who want to try it out should do so in Playground or Creative Mode and not in public matches, as that could result in a ban for knowingly exploiting a bug.

New Carrot consumable and Boombox coming to Fortnite – Dexerto
New Carrot consumable and Boombox coming to Fortnite FNBRFortnite’s V7.10 update officially released on Tuesday, December 18, and dataminers have been sifting through the massive update trying to find clues as to what is coming up in the future of the popular battle royale title. With the Christmas period fast approaching, Epic Games included items that we may see released throughout the holiday season, and it seems Fortnite fans will soon be getting their hands on a brand new weapon, plus two items. Read More: Toy Story meets Fortnite in this incredible Creative mode creation Found in the files after the V7.10 update is a new Boombox item, which has been fully animated and features audio files that the Boombox will play. It’s currently unknown what the Boombox’s function will be, however some fans believe it will act similarly to the Boogie Bomb which forces people to dance, while others think it’s likely a new emote or toy. It’s not a skin but here’s an animation with some of the sounds for the Boom Box in #Fortnite What are your thoughts? PS: We’ll share a new Skin that hasn’t been posted yet in a bit aswell, stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/tSbzQZ5bfT — Skin-Tracker (@SkinTrackerCom) December 18, 2018 Fans may also see a new carrot consumable in a future update for the game, as files linked to it have also been spotted. While the carrot appears to be in the early stages of development, it hasn’t stopped people from theorizing about what it will be used for, with some suggesting it will affect players vision. Leakers have already found a new submachine gun in the game’s file called the Machine Pistol, which looks a lot like a Mini Uzi. The Machine Pistol has been available in Fortnite’s PvE mode Save the World for some time, but it appears it will soon be making an appearance in Battle Royale too. * LEAK * Machine Pistol + Sounds! pic.twitter.com/cl3LaxJ01Q — Cross – Fortnite News (@iRealCross) December 18, 2018 There are currently no official release dates for any of these items, however with both consumable items appearing in the “Athena” portion of the game files, it’s likely we will see them soon. However, as with all leaks, there is no guarantee that they will ever see the light of day, as Epic Games have previously added items to the game’s files and then never used them.

New Chiller Grenade is officially coming to Fortnite – Dexerto
New Chiller Grenade is officially coming to Fortnite Fortnite’s in-game menu has been officially updated to announce the arrival of a brand new weapon to the popular battle royale title – the Chiller Grenade. Fortnite fans have become accustomed to checking the game’s built-in news feed for new information regarding the title, including new items, weapons or information about upcoming events. Epic Games often use the in-game news feed to tease what’s coming in the next weekly update for the game, and appear to have done it once again on Monday, January 28, as reported by FortniteINTEL. When Fortnite players boot up the game, they will see a new addition to the game is officially on it’s way, titled the Chiller Grenade. Epic Games haven’t released any information about the item, but the news feed states that it will “Give your enemies cold feet with this winter blast,” with fans surmising that the item will likely freeze enemy players where they stand. This means that the item may work in a similar fashion to the Chiller trap, which is widely considered to be weak and is not commonly used. The Chiller Grenade looks extremely similar to the Boogie Bomb, so it’s possible that the weapon will have a similar range and effect time as the Boogie Bomb which makes players dance uncontrollably for five seconds. There is no official release date for the Chiller Grenade, but it’s probable that it will go live in the next Fortnite update, which is likely to arrive on Tuesday, January 29.

New Buried Treasure item teased for Fortnite Season 8 – Dexerto
New Buried Treasure item teased for Fortnite Season 8 Epic GamesEpic Games teased a brand new item on Sunday, March 3, coming soon to Fortnite called ‘Buried Treasure’. Not much information on the new item has yet been found, but what has been was uncovered by data miners. Popular Fortnite leaker FortTory leaked sound files for the new buried treasure item, although didn’t have any concrete idea about what the item could do. The beacon we saw in the Trailer! pic.twitter.com/o80OqQamJn — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) February 28, 2019 Aside from the sound effects, a potential location for one of the buried treasures has also been found on the Season 8 map. In the north east corner of the map, a stone ‘X’ surrounded by chests has been sighted, as well as files for a “shovel” and “dirt to dig”. Digging for some kind of treasure, maybe some extra rare loot or other reward, certainly doesn’t seem to crazy, based on the evidence – but exactly what the new Buried Treasure item will actually be remains a mystery. https://twitter.com/FortTory The item hasn’t been released yet, and probably won’t be until the v8.00 update, which will probably happen on Tuesday, March 5. There’s been no official word on the update from Epic, but last season content updates most often came on Tuesdays. It’s clear Fortnite and Epic aren’t slowing down anytime soon when it comes to adding new content into the flagship battle royale.

New ‘Bone Chilling Gear’ coming soon to Fortnite, possibly including the rare ‘Skull Trooper’ skin – Dexerto
New ‘Bone Chilling Gear’ coming soon to Fortnite, possibly including the rare ‘Skull Trooper’ skin A brand new set of cosmetic items is coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale, and it may very well include the highly coveted ‘Skull Trooper’ skin. The pre-lobby announcement screen in Fortnite has updated on October 9 to display a new message that ‘bone-chilling gear’ is coming to the game’s Item Shop. The message includes an image of a purple skull emblem against a purple backdrop, and there is a note that the gear will be available in Fortnite ‘tomorrow,’ which would be October 10. A new Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle is on the wayNot only is the emblem of the announcement a literal skull, Epic Games also posted a cryptic tweet on the Fortnite Twitter page with the skull and scythe emojis and the word “soon,” clearly a tease on their part. With Fortnite in full Halloween mode, many had been expecting the rare Halloween-themed skin to re-feature in the shop, with some users even leaking information on the matter. Regardless, Epic’s decision to bring back the Skull Trooper would certainly be a polarizing one and cause heavy commotion in the Fortnite community. Because the skin last featured in the Item Shop in November 2017, it has gained a reputation as one of the rarest and most coveted cosmetic items in the game. While newer players will certainly be thrilled to have the opportunity at purchasing it, many of the longtime players will likely be unhappy at the prospect of their prized possession becoming an everyday item. However, Epic have made it clear that no cosmetic item in Fortnite is exempt from the possibility of being re-featured in the Item Shop, especially since the company would stand to make a ton of revenue by bringing back Halloween skins.

New Building Exploit Found in Fortnite Battle Royale – Ability To Build Through Walls – Dexerto
New Building Exploit Found in Fortnite Battle Royale – Ability To Build Through Walls A new glitch has been discovered in Fortnite allowing players to build through the walls of their own structures, an exploit yet to be fixed by Epic Games. As even the most casual Fortnite player will know, building is the most central and fundamental skill in the game, perhaps even more so than shooting, so any advantage that can be gained here can be game changing. Numerous exploits and bugs with building have been fixed throughout the game’s lifecycle by developer Epic Games, but it seems this one has either slipped through or is the result of a bug in a recent patch. Essentially, if a player builds a 1×1 base with a floor, it is possible to walk to the bottom right corner of one of the walls and build through it to the other side. As shown by Fortnite YouTuber MonsterDFace, it is an incredibly simply exploit to use, and could be incredibly useful in an engagement – or for escaping one. MonsterDFace also confirmed in a comment that this glitch is possible with any material, not only metal as shown in the video. It is unclear if it is only possible with a player’s own builds. Because it does not use the edit feature to perform this exploit, it seems feasable that a player could approach any player-made structure, and by standing at the bottom right corner be able to build through it to the other side. The most recent update, v5.20, went live in Fortnite on Tuesday August 7, and it appears this glitch is still possible following that update, meaning Epic are yet to be made aware. New 14 Days of Fortnite emote release delayed until 2019 [UPDATE] – Dexerto
New 14 Days of Fortnite emote release delayed until 2019 [UPDATE] Epic GamesUPDATE – December 26, 2018 (6:15pm ET) Along with the announcement of a fix for widespread server issues on December 26, Epic Games have announced that the issue for the new ‘Take the Elf’ emote has been resolved and players should receive their emotes “immediately after completion.” We’ve deployed a fix addressing the issues encountered earlier today. Login and Game Services have been restored and the elf is back on the shelf. Players that have earned the Take The Elf Emote will now receive it as a gift or immediately after completion. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 26, 2018 Some Fortnite players will have to wait until 2019 to get the new ‘Take the Elf’ emote after Epic Games made it unavailable shortly after release. The emote is a tribute to the legendary ‘Take the L’ emote, and was able to be earned by players as a reward for completing the Day 8 ‘14 Days of Fortnite’ challenge. Day 8’s challenge isn’t too difficult either, all players have to do is “Damage opponents with different weapons” to complete it. But, shortly after the release of the Day 8 challenge, Epic Games announced on Twitter that they had removed the emote after they “identified an issue with the Take the Elf emote not being granted to players after completing the Day 8 challenge.” But, because of the issue, Epic said they would be giving the ‘Take the Elf’ emote to all players who complete the Day 8 challenge sometime “early next year.” We have identified an issue with the Take the Elf emote not being granted to players after completing the Day 8 challenge. We will grant this reward to all players that earned it early next year. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 26, 2018 With the announcement happening the same day the emote was supposed to be released, December 26, players should only have to wait a few days into 2019 to get the emote. There is no official date for when the ‘Take the L’ emote will be made available to players, though. At the time of writing, the exact problems with the emote and why it was delayed is unknown, but Dexerto will continue to provide updates and information as it becomes available.

Never take fall damage in Fortnite again with this exploit – Dexerto
Never take fall damage in Fortnite again with this exploit Since glider redeploy was removed from standard Fortnite playlists, players have had to deal with the risk of fall damage again – but this new exploit means you can avoid ever taking fall damage again. Glider redeploy, though controversial among the player base, certainly helped with general mobility and the flow of the action in the battle royale game, by allowing players to descend from any height on demand without fear of fall damage. Now though, there is a new method to drop on players from above, and strangely it involves the purple corrupt zones, which give players a temporary bounce affect. This temporary effect can be made permanent though, by pairing it with aerial items like balloons, quad crasher or the shadow stones. This was discovered by Fortnite mastermind ImSpeedyGonzales, who first tested his theory when balloons were added in the v6.21 update. “If you let go of the balloon after using a bouncer, you don’t take any fall damage, and there is no limit on the amount of time you can spend up in the air,” he explains, “So even after the purple glow is gone, you can still let go of a balloon and land perfectly fine.” SpeedyGonzales then shows that the technique is even more effective when used in combination with the quad crasher, which can reach ridiculous heights thanks to its thrusters. The trick also works with ‘Shadow Stones’, although you cannot reach the same heights as when using balloons or the quad crasher. In total there are four corrupted zones, but it’s unlikely these will stay as permanent additions to the Fortnite map, with a wintery map update expected soon, according to leaks.

Netflix confirm Stranger Things x Fortnite crossover is coming soon – Dexerto
Netflix confirm Stranger Things x Fortnite crossover is coming soon Smitt – YouTubeA crossover event between the popular web television series Stranger Things and Fortnite Battle Royale is happening soon, according to Netflix. On June 12, Netflix’s official twitter account for gaming related topics released details about a slew of Stranger Things games coming out soon. Towards the end of that discussion, ‘NXonNetflix’ confirmed that they were working on various projects in collaboration with several major gaming companies, including Fortnite developers Epic Games. “In traditional E3 style, we’re leaving you with some tasty teasers to chew on,” they wrote. “Watch out for our upcoming projects with Behavior, Ubisoft, Roblox, and Epic Games.“ In addition to that tweet, the director of interactive games at Netflix also said on June 12 that there would be “a bit more behind that in a few weeks,” when asked about their collaboration with Fortnite. In traditional E3 style, we’re leaving you with some tasty teasers to chew on. Watch out for our upcoming projects with @Behaviour@Ubisoft @Roblox and @EpicGames. Get hype and stay tuned to NX for more info on these real soon! — NX (@NXOnNetflix) June 12, 2019 The confirmation of a crossover happening between Stranger Things and Fortnite does not come as a major surprise to anyone that has been keeping up with recent events in the popular battle royale. At the start Season 9, a brand new location was added to the map called ‘Mega Mall,’ in which an ice cream parlor called ‘Scoops Ahoy’ can be found. Fans of the show immediately recognized this to be identical to the ice cream shop from the show, instantly sparking speculation that a crossover was in the works. Furthermore, there is no reason not to believe that Epic would be willing to work with Netflix on this, considering that the’ve worked with other studios in the past to create in-game events marking the release of a popular film, such as the recent limited time modes for John Wick 3: Parabellum and Avengers: Infinity War. With the highly anticipated third season of Stranger Things scheduled for a July 4 release, the timing couldn’t be more appropriate for all parties involved. Although the collaboration has now officially been confirmed by Netflix, there are still a lot of details about the crossover that remain unclear. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest on this story as more information becomes available in the days and weeks ahead.

NerdOut’s Anything Goes $20k Fortnite Tournament Bracket, Rules, and Live-Streams ft Nadeshot, SouljaBoy, Ninja and More! – Dexerto
NerdOut’s Anything Goes $20k Fortnite Tournament Bracket, Rules, and Live-Streams ft Nadeshot, SouljaBoy, Ninja and More! A $20k Fortnite tournament featuring top streamers and entertainers is taking place on July 8th. NerdOut, a collaborative YouTube music channel, is hosting the event that will feature SouljaBoy, Ninja, Dr. Lupo, Nadeshot, Noahj456, Tfue, Loserfruit and more. The streamers will not be hunting each other like in the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am, however. The 2v2 double elimination tournament will be based on the amount of kills a player can get, rather than a high placing. Much like Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite format, the teams of two will load into a match with their opponent, as a squad, and play two matches together. Whichever team has the most kills after two matches will advance to the next round. There is one major difference to Friday Fortnite, sabotage is not only allowed, but encouraged. Unlike Keemstar’s tournament, which does not allow sabotage like knocking over opponent’s structures or building in front of them when they try to shoot, NerdOut’s Anything Goes Tournament will feature all of that. More: KEEMSTAR’s $20,000 Friday Fortnite #9 Tournament Bracket, Rules, and Live-Streams – Ft. Ninja, Dr DisRespect, Nadeshot, and More! – Everyone in the tournament is required to stream their matches, so those interested in tuning in can simply pick their favorite streamer and follow along on July 8th. NerdOut’s Fortnite Sunday Storm Rules Announced – Featuring Automatic Kill and Win Tracking Software – Dexerto
NerdOut’s Fortnite Sunday Storm Rules Announced – Featuring Automatic Kill and Win Tracking Software NerdOut’s next big $20,000 Fortnite tournament will use innovative software to track players kills and wins, encouraging aggressive play for eliminations plus other benefits. The ruleset has been one of the main issues for competitive Fortnite – should it be based on eliminations, wins or both? KEEMSTAR’s ‘Friday Fortnite’ places all the emphasis on kills, while Epic Games’ first official ‘Summer Skirmsh’ used wins. Community members have pointed out that placing no importance on eliminations results in less exciting gameplay, as players are more cautious when just going for the win. But, to have no emphasis placed on winning at all also seems somewhat counter-intuitive, so NerdOut’s new points system could be the solution needed. NerdOut’s ‘Little & Large’ tournaments have been running for a few weeks now, and have been a major success. But they will now host a new tournament with the help of ‘Bebo’, using their smart technology to track the leaders. “The Bebo app will automatically track all your wins and kills. There will be a live leaderboard, and each kill will be worth one point. If you win that game, it will be worth ten points – you must play the game out in full. Every hour, the bottom twenty scoring teams will be eliminated, until 20 teams remain. When only 20 teams remain, the bottom scoring team will be eliminated every 10 minutes, until one team is left standing.” New NerdOut x Bebo #SundayStorm invitational! Invites are rolling out today! Sunday 22nd July (2pm EST/7pm BST) – No stream delays – No high pings – No Waiting for other games to finishSee you there! pic.twitter.com/pHZWkRODmc — NerdOut! (@NerdOutMusic) July 17, 2018 And the technology doesn’t stop there, as it will also work directly with Twitch to keep the score updated on players’ streams, meaning both the player and the viewers will always know the standings. It fixes three of the main problems which have been caused with other methods – using stream delays, playing on far away servers when in the same lobby as another team, and downtime between games waiting on another team to finish. The tournament will take place on July 22, and Twitch partners will be invited to take part (the technology does not work yet with Mixer/YouTube). There will also be an ‘affiliates’ tournament, where the top three Twitch affiliates will move on to play in the main $20,000 event. You can apply for the affiliates tournament here.

NerdOut $10k Fortnite tournament featured TSM Daequan vs FaZe Thiefs final – Dexerto
NerdOut $10k Fortnite tournament featured TSM Daequan vs FaZe Thiefs final NerdOut’s $10,000 ‘Rumble’ Fortnite tournament finished with a crazy grand final, as FaZe Clan’s Thiefs faced TSM’s Daequan in a match that came down to the wire. The Rumble tournament featured a number of well known Fortnite players and streamers, including DrLupo, Nick Eh 30, Liquid Vivid, and Summer Skirmish winner Morguasse. The format was a double elimination duos tournament. The team with the most kills after two games advanced to the next round, and unlike NerdOut’s Sabotage tournaments, sabotage was not allowed. With such a stacked bracket, there wasn’t an easy match for any duo, but Thiefs and partner Thwifo, a Ghost Gaming pro, ran through the winners bracket to make it to the grand final. They took out the likes of OpTic Maniac, Slappie and then Hysteria & Vivid in the winners finals, proving they could hang with some of the very best. Their grand final opponents, Daequan and Yanni, had been knocked to down to the losers bracket with a loss to Vivid and Hysteria, but bounced back to secure top 2. In the final, Daequan and Yanni forced a second match, but lost 3-2 in the end. Thiefs and Thwifo walked away $6,000 richer, while Daequan and Yanni were rewarded with $3,000 for their efforts. It’s another big win for Ghost Gaming’s Thwifo, who managed 2nd in the recent Fall Skirmish event, netting $30,000. Nate Hill was eliminated by a glitch in the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Grand Final – Dexerto
Nate Hill was eliminated by a glitch in the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Grand Final Fortnite pro Nate Hill was eliminated from a match due to a bug involving his glider during the Grand Finals of the $2.6 million Fortnite Fall Skirmish. The bug was caught live on the official Fortnite stream, leading to an awkward moment for the casters. Nate Hill and his partner Funkbomb jumped off of a ramp build to redeploy their gliders. The moment started off in Funkbomb’s POV, from which you can see Nate Hill standing on a bridge. But when the camera cuts to Nate Hill’s POV, you can see he is not on the bridge at all but actually gliding towards the ground. The glitch appeared to show Nate Hill that he was still gliding, but to the rest of the game world he was actually falling without a glider. His name popped into the kill feed as being eliminated from fall damage, and it looked like his character went into a fall death animation long before he actually hit the ground. Nate jumped up from his chair in frustration while he was still visible on stream and appeared to yell an expletive or two. CouRage was casting the match and calmly transitioned away from the potentially game breaking bug by saying, “seemed like [Nate Hill’s] glider was malfunctioning a little bit, so we’ll wait from League Ops on that one.” League Ops would not respond or comment for the rest of the tournament, but fortunately for Nate Hill and Funkbomb, the glitch may not have had a negative impact on their result. Funkbomb went on to finish second by himself in the match to still earn the team points. They also finished in second place overall, five points back of the winners Tfue and Cloakzy.

Nadeshot’s Not Feeling Very Confident Ahead of the Friday Fortnite Tournament Following Embarrassing 1 v 1 – Dexerto
Nadeshot’s Not Feeling Very Confident Ahead of the Friday Fortnite Tournament Following Embarrassing 1 v 1 Most Fortnite players will tell you that confidence is key when heading into battle, and when you’re not feeling your shot, disastrous things can happen. Former professional Call of Duty player and 100 Thieves owner, Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, won’t be backing himself going into KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite tournament after an awkward moment on stream. Practicing ahead of the $20k tournament on July 6, Nadeshot got into a 1 v 1 with an opponent inside one of the houses near Salty Springs. Before the fight had even started, Nadeshot had explained to his teammate Parallax that his shot felt off, and he went on to prove it. Missing with the shotgun at close quarters, his opponent started to take advantage and began to try and hit him with the pickaxe. Embarrassment began to set in for Nade who looked physically shocked that he’d been unable to down the gunless target in front of him. Thankfully it all ended well for Nade, who responded with his own pickaxe to end the fight, before trying to explain what happened to Parallax. “You don’t understand what just happened. I think I might need to sign off for the night after that. I truly have never experienced what just unfolded.” Nadeshot will be teaming up with Parallax on Friday, July 6 for KEEMSTAR’s $20k Fortnite tournament, with the duo going up against FaZe Rain and Blaze in the first round. View full details by clicking here. Regardless of how well it goes on Friday, the pair will be teaming up again for NerdOut’s Anything Goes $20k tournament on Saturday.

Nadeshot Goes to See the Fortnite Durrr Burger Desert Site, Takes Pictures With Visiting Kids – Dexerto
Nadeshot Goes to See the Fortnite Durrr Burger Desert Site, Takes Pictures With Visiting Kids Fortnite Insider100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag decided to pay one last homage to Season 4 in Fortnite before that start of Season 5. On July 11, the popular YouTuber took a trip to visit the desert site where the real life version of Fortnite’s Durrr Burger sign is located. Living out in the Los Angeles area, it was not too difficult for Nadeshot to make his way to the California desert that is the current home of the massive burger. Here is a picture of it that he posted on his Twitter page. He also took this video of the unnamed Agents who have been seen around the site passing out mysterious cards on which a phone number is printed. “So that I have proof that Durrr Burger is real and out in the desert, agents are around handing out cards. I’m in the flesh, we have found Durrr Burger. We got to get him home for Season 5” SEASON 5 IS COMING. @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/waWEAFjarF — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) July 11, 2018 Nadeshot also took the time to take pictures with some of the kids who had also gone to the desert to see Durrr Burger in the flesh. Durrr Burger appeared in the real world on July 6th, days after disappearing into a portal in Fortnite. Its appearance sparked the start of Epic Games’ Alternate Reality Game, which involved them continuing to place in-game items in the real world. Since then, Llamas have been found in numerous cities throughout Europe, and the phone number passed out by the Agents has pointed to a mysterious historical research center in France.

Nadeshot has some advice for the 100 Thieves Fortnite team – Dexerto
Nadeshot has some advice for the 100 Thieves Fortnite team 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has told his Fortnite team to stop complaining on social media. Nadeshot was making an appearance on OpTic H3CZ’s new podcast when the pair began to discuss the difficulties they sometimes face trying to manage professional players. “Some of these guys are idiots.” commented Nadeshot. “I love them to death, but they do some dumb shit man.” “I love our Fortnite guys, they are incredibly talented, but all they do is complain on social media. Parallax, Kenneth, Risker and SirDimetrious, I love those guys, they’re great people” continued Haag. “But I’ve said it them over and over and over, the reason why you’re not getting invited to these Summer Skirmishes is because all you do is complain about the game on social media.” Nadeshot did have some sympathy for the situation, but still thinks the squad needs to be smarter, saying; “I get it. I’ve been in that place before, I used to do it all the time. But Epic Games is literally deciding by going up and down a list and saying “we want them in our tournament””. “Guys, we’re paying you really, really well. You’re part of 100 Thieves” concluded Nadeshot, “Just don’t tweet about it!” While the 100 Thieves pro team haven’t been invited to compete in the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, it’s clear that they are one of the best squads in the world. Recently, they broke the world record for most kills in a squad game, showcasing their incredible talent. Whether they can ease off on the social media complaining, however, remains to be seen. Nadeshot, an ex-Call of Duty professional, became the face of OpTic Gaming during the Black Ops 2 season thanks to his extremely popular YouTube and Twitch content and was a figurehead of the competitive scene until his retirement in 2015. After departing from OpTic, he built his own organization known as 100 Thieves and he currently owns one of the coveted NA LCS slots in League of Legends – a well deserved one considering the fact that the team finished in second place in their very first split. He doesn’t plan on stopping there, though, and it looks like his next goal is to secure the services of some of the top Fortnite Battle Royale players and streamers. Read More: How to Find the Secret Fortnite Battle Pass Star for the Week 4, Season 4 Blockbuster Challenge – Following the announcement from Epic Games on May 21st, where they pledged to put a staggering $100,000,000 into competitive Fortnite prize pools for the 2018-19 season, organizations now have even more reason to begin investing in the massively popular game. With Epic Games now looking seriously into the competitive side of their game, the future looks bright for the top Fortnite Battle Royale players and the game itself.

Nadeshot explains why 100 Thieves revamped Fortnite and Apex Legends rosters – Dexerto
Nadeshot explains why 100 Thieves revamped Fortnite and Apex Legends rosters Apex Legends and Fortnite squads, bringing on lots of new players. 100 Thieves already had a strong presence in Fortnite thanks to members like Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, who is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and regularly competes in competitive tournaments under the 100 Thieves banner. NICKMERCS will not be the sole 100 Thieves competitor at major Fortnite competitions going forward, while the California-based organization has also turned their attention to another battle royale that has captured the imagination of the gaming community – Apex Legends. Joining the 100 Thieves Fortnite team is Davis ‘Ceice’ McClean, Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger, Maurillo ‘Blind’ Gramajo and Kyzui, who will represent the organization in both content creation and competition. 100 Thieves also announced their brand new Apex Legends squad, who will compete on a game that Nadeshot described as “the most interesting battle royale title I’ve seen.” Joining Justin ‘Teenage’ Phipps will be former Destiny star Connor ‘Gigz’ White and Isiaih ‘Lifted’ Slowik, who previously competed in H1Z1. In an announcement video for the organization’s new rosters, Haag explained what prompted 100 Thieves to add these new members, saying: “Battle royales cannot be ignored any longer. This is a gigantic genre that will only continue to get bigger and evolve. We decided it was time to revamp the roster and bring on talent that had performed really well this past year and had proven they are the highest calibre of player.” Nadeshot says that 100 Thieves intend to throw the full weight of the organization behind the players to help elevate themselves and their careers. Apex Legends currently has no major tournaments scheduled, but the 100 Thieves Fortnite team will now turn their attention to qualification for the Fortnite World Cup, which takes place later in the year.

Myth shows how to use bot grenades in Fortnite to outplay enemies – Dexerto
Myth shows how to use bot grenades in Fortnite to outplay enemies TSM Myth / Epic GamesPopular Twitch streamer Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani demonstrated the perfect use for ‘friendly bot grenades’ with a ridiculous outplay trick in Fortnite to kick off Season 2. Since the release of Fortnite’s Season 2 update, many players have returned to the action to experience the new changes introduced in the most recent patch. TSM member Myth was among some of the top streamers who have been enjoying the new season, and is already using the new items to deadly effect. During his February 21 stream, the TSM content creator highlighted the perfect use for the friendly bot grenades, that were added in Chapter 2, by completely outsmarting his opponent. While Myth was looting one of his previous kills, he found himself getting rushed by another player looking to capitalize on the weakened pro. However, instead of trying to escape or outbuild the enemy player, Myth simply deployed the friendly bot grenade – and started running into the wall in an attempt at fooling his opponent into thinking he was the bot. Despite initially shooting at Myth, the other player quickly assumed that he was one of the clones and started to run by him, fearful that he would be distracted by the wrong character. Fortunately for Myth, it worked out perfectly in his favor as managed to secure an easy kill on the unsuspecting enemy after realizing what had happened. Myth is clearly a fan of the newly added grenades, however, the popular Fortnite streamer revealed that there was one other feature that he would love to see added in Season 2. Although this trick won’t work 100% of the time, this friendly bot grenade outplay can make for some very entertaining highlights.

Myth reveals why he ditched ‘WASD’ for new Fortnite movement keybinds – Dexerto
Myth reveals why he ditched ‘WASD’ for new Fortnite movement keybinds Twitter: Myth / Epic Games / ClipartAli ‘Myth’ Kabbani believes he’s changed the game when it comes to Fortnite and FPS movement, dubbing himself “an innovator” after swapping his default movement keybinds away from the stereotypical WASD setup. The Team SoloMid streamer is always looking to get ahead of the Fortnite curve, testing new strategies and builds, and even defecting to playing on a controller instead of his usual keyboard and mouse to try and get an edge. Now, it seems like the Twitch star believes he’s broken the mold again, doing away with the default WASD keybinds that every FPS and battle royale across the world uses, and instead tweaking it slightly to a set of “more natural” settings. Myth has been putting plenty of hours into Fortnite and Apex Legends recently, including during a huge 15-hour stream on February 3, and it seems to be taking its toll – he admitted he had to change keybinds to help his fingers. “I changed my movement keys from WASD to WASE. This is a game-changer. I am an innovator,” he revealed to his fans on Twitter on February 4. The 20-year-old also confirmed he had swapped his pyramid keybind, which had previously been on E, and switched the two so he could use the right strafe button—once D, now E—more often, and only call on the pyramid key when needed I changed my movement keys from WASD to WASE. This is a game changer. I am an innovator. — Myth (@Myth_) February 5, 2020 According to the streamer, who was immediately hit with a wave of shock from his dedicated Fortnite fans, many of whom suggested it was ‘blasphemous’ to abandon WASD, he made the controversial switch to help with cramping. “Your index finger relaxes way better when it’s on the E key instead of the D key, at least for me,” he continued. “And that leads to way less index finger cramping for me, which was a pretty big issue for a while now.” While many fans laughed, and suggested he would drop it nearly immediately, Myth revealed he had already been employing his strange and whacky keybind for a week, and hadn’t regretted anything “just yet.” Your index finger relaxes way better when it’s on the E key instead of the D key, well atleast for me. And that leads to way less index finger cramping for me which was a pretty big issue for a while now. 😅 — Myth (@Myth_) February 5, 2020 While many were initially shocked that Myth was veering away from what is seen as the holy set of keybinds for movement in first-person shooters, and battle royales, it does make a bit of sense, considering where your fingers lie on the keyboard. It is worth remembering if you’re going to try out Myth’s newest innovation, however, that not every keyboard is built the same. Whereas the TSM star may have a setup that allows for the E key to provide maximum comfort, yours may not. The lesson to be learned from all of this is keybinds aren’t set in stone. Myth has certainly proved this with his testing period on WASE, and it’s better for players to set their keys to what they like best, rather than just sticking to usual. As mentioned before, this isn’t the first time Myth has gone against the grain either, picking up the controller at the turn of the decade to “prove it could work.” While he stuck with it for a while, he returned to M&KB on January 26. For now, it looks like Myth has settled into his new life playing with WASE, but if he wants to change again, there’s more than 100 keys on an average keyboard – apparently, the world truly is your oyster if you leave WASD behind.

Myth says esports organizations are “scared” to sign more Fortnite players – Dexerto
Myth says esports organizations are “scared” to sign more Fortnite players Fortnite Pro Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani explained why he believes esports teams are hesitant to sign players right now. Despite a $100 million dollar investment from Epic into Fortnite prize pools earlier in the year, there haven’t been any major announcements about a regular tournament schedule besides the Summer and Fall Skirmish series and the Fortnite World Cup, which are taking place in 2019. Myth’s tweet was in response to Frizzable, a player for the Fortnite Pro League, which is unaffiliated with Epic games. Frizzable wondered why esports organizations were unwilling to sign more Fortnite players when there “is $92,000,000 left to be won THIS YEAR.” 600https://twitter.com/TSM_Myth/status/1044630465225809920 Lack of a regular tournament structure is is the main reason why esports organizations show an unwillingness to sign more Fortnite players right now according to Myth. Since there’s no set schedule, organizations have no incentive to sign a player, put them on salary, and have them “sit on the bench for months with the way comp Fortnite is structured right now. Weekly Fall Skirmishes, happening right now, feature a prize pool of $250,000 each week, with the winning team taking home $67,500. The World Cup will feature “community run events, online events, and major competitions all over the world.” The only Epic-sponsored major Fortnite event since the investment was announced has been the Pro/Am tournament at this year’s E3. It featured a $3 million prize pool made up of charitable donations. The duo of Ninja and DJ/artist MARSHMELLO won the biggest share of the prize to donate to their favoured charities.

Myth Explains Why Fortnite’s Rifts Are One of His Favorite Additions to the Game – Dexerto
Myth Explains Why Fortnite’s Rifts Are One of His Favorite Additions to the Game Epic GamesTSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani thinks that the rifts in Fortnite Battle Royale should stay on a permanent basis. The professional player and Twitch star believes that the miniature portals give players the opportunity to play the game with “so much more creativity in terms or initial drops / loot runs”. The rifts allow you to teleport into the sky somewhere nearby and glide to a location of you choosing, making it easier to outrun an approaching storm, escape a surprise attack, or even change up your looting technique. Myth concludes by saying that the rifts are one of his favorite additions to the game so far. High praise indeed from one of the best players on the planet! I genuinely think rifts and the totems or something similar should always be in the game, allows for so much more creativity in terms or initial drops / loot runs. 100% one of my favorite additions to the game. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) July 30, 2018 The rifts have, by and large, been one of the most popular additions to Fortnite in Season 5, and players are constantly coming up with new ways of using them to their advantage. They also seem to have made low traffic areas of the map more popular, as users can now land at those areas, do some looting, and then jump into a portal and move to a more highly populated area. It is currently uncertain how long the rifts will remain in the game but, if Myth’s opinion reflects that of the community at large, Epic might have to consider making them a permanent feature. With Season 5 due to continue until September 25, it is safe to assume that the popular portals will stay until that date at the very least.

Myth explains why Fortnite is actually harder with a controller – Dexerto
Myth explains why Fortnite is actually harder with a controller Twitch Myth / Epic GamesTwitch star Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani weighed in on the endless mouse and keyboard vs controller debate, explaining why it is actually harder to play Fortnite with a controller. The mouse and keyboard vs controller debate is one as old as time, with the two groups never being able to agree on much of anything and constantly warring for supremacy. It’s no different in Fortnite, as both groups dub the other one as easier. Myth joined the fray during a stream on March 5, where he stated that playing Fortnite is more difficult with a controller and explained the reasons behind his somewhat unexpected statement. It all began when a viewer asked him if mouse and keyboard was hard to learn and the Team SoloMid member dived into an in-depth explanation. “Yeah if you’ve never played on it [mouse and keyboard]. But, in my opinion, becoming an average mouse and keyboard player is easier than becoming an average controller player.” He then paused to really think about his statement before continuing and explained what’s easier from beginner to pro. “When learning a new peripheral, both are very difficult, but then to be average it’s easier on mouse and keyboard. Then to become god tier, the top 1%, is harder on controller than it on mouse and keyboard for Fortnite. That’s it,” he added. Myth then explained the reason behind his opinion, saying “becoming a top tier Fortnite controller player has taken way more time [than mouse and keyboard]. And now that controller players are actually reaching their peak guess what’s happening, PC players are switching.” The key reason seems to be that controller players are finding more and more success in Fortnite, with Ali claiming that it just took them longer to reach their peak. Of course, his chat was split, with some viewers agreeing and some disagreeing, as with any peripheral discussion. However, Myth does make a good point, but, it’s very unlikely we’ll ever have a clear answer to the timeless debate.

Myth explains why Fortnite’s divisive Proximity Mines are “pretty sick” – Dexerto
Myth explains why Fortnite’s divisive Proximity Mines are “pretty sick” Twitch: Myth / Epic GamesNot every Fortnite player may be totally in love with the new Proximity Mines introduced in patch v12.10, but according to Twitch star Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, the “nutty” flying explosives have been nothing but fun since the content drop. The divisive new Proximity Mines headlined Fortnite’s latest update, which also included a few bug fixes along with the introduction of the new weapon. Players across the battle royale pretty quickly figured out just how they could cause the most mayhem with the deadly new explosives. Some even turned the Season 2 add-on into a more long-ranged threat with a cheeky trick. While some have been enjoying mucking around with explosives — something we’ve always been told not to do — there are others that have been less keen on the arrival of a powerful new destructive item in Chapter 2. TSM streamer Myth sits far from that crowd, however. According to the Fortnite star, who showcased the Proximity Mines in his latest YouTube upload, Epic’s latest addition to the ever-growing battle royale are “actually so good.” While grinding through Fortnite after the latest update, Myth stumbled across the mines in a loot chest. Needless to say, he was a little excited. “I got them, I got them!” he yelled in excitement, finally bringing his quest to find the latest weapon added to the game to a close. He soon got to work mucking around with the explosives. After figuring out the damage, as well as the throwable range, he took it into a one-vs-one duel against an opponent. There, he discovered another feature he particularly liked. “Oh wait, it marks them through the wall too? Did you guys see that? It marks them through the walls, that’s actually pretty sick. The fact you get vision, and 50 damage… holy sh*t, that’s actually kinda nutty,” he said, seemingly impressed. “I think they work off the new physics engine too,” he said, and tested the new mine out a few times. As he perfected the throw-bounce technique, he passed more judgment: “Oh sh*t, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this before… so cool.” He did express a little concern over the fact that once you had laid a few of them out, they were difficult to pick up straight away. That fear seemed to be alleviated slightly, however, when he finally got the speedy pickup right. “I like how fast you can pick them up, if you get it right,” he said. “They’re really interesting, I think you could get some good wins with them.” True to his word, the Twitch streamer was soon pulling off impressive multiple mine-throws to near-perfection, and bagging kills to boot. It eventually claimed him a Victory Royale, and he could only pile on more love for the explosive. “They’re really interesting. I like them. You could use them like traps if you’re fast with them, 100 percent. You can also break someone’s builds with them too. They’re pretty useful I think,” he concluded. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 5:20 in the video below. While not every player has been enjoying the surplus of explosives that have been rolled into the game in recent patches, the Proximity Mines seem to be getting a lot less hate than the return of the previously-vaulted C4. You might get a few angry messages if you score a kill with C4, but your enemies may be a bit more impressed with Proximity Mine kills — make sure you read up on how to pull off the perfect toss here to score your next Victory Royale.

Myth confirms a new TSM Fortnite player is set to be announced – Dexerto
Myth confirms a new TSM Fortnite player is set to be announced Team SoloMid’s competitive Fortnite captain, Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, has revealed that the organization has signed another player, or perhaps more than one, to their roster. The Twitch star is best known for his Fortnite building techniques that landed him a spot in TSM, but the team has struggled to find a full four-man starting lineup for a number of months. Myth is currently joined by Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin and Daequan Loco as permanent members, while Calvin ‘aimbotcalvin’ Chau still holds the substitute role that he has occupied ever since Juan ‘CaMiLLs’ Camilla was benched. However, Myth has given TSM fans hope that the doubts about the roster will soon be a thing of the past, insisting that another player has been signed. “DK gave hints that that TSM signed someone? I gave hints too. The announcement soon. So be ready for it because it’s hype,” the 19-year-old stated in response to speculation from his Twitch chat. Following more questions from his viewers, Myth revealed that TSM had, in fact, signed ‘people’, not just one person. Read More: Final Fortnitemares teaser confirms Fortnite’s Halloween event start date, completes cryptic poem – “Do you know the people that we’re signing? Yeah. I mean, it depends who you are and how many people you know. Why would we sign somebody you guys don’t know? That would be dumb,” he said. News about Myth’s comments quickly made its way to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit, with a number of users suggesting that the organization had probably signed some dedicated streamers alongside one or two players to complete their competitive roster. Luckily for fans of TSM, it doesn’t sound like you’ll have to wait too much longer before you get an announcement about their new signings.

Myth and Ninja Praise the New Double Barrel Shotgun in Fortnite – Dexerto
Myth and Ninja Praise the New Double Barrel Shotgun in Fortnite The new Double Barrel Shotgun has received high praise from various Fortnite community members. Added in the V5.2 update on Tuesday, August 8, the Double Barrell shotgun was the latest weapon to be introduced into Fortnite by Epic Games. Especially at a time when some players and fans argued that Shotguns may have lost their efficiency on the battlefield following recent updates to SMG’s, the Double Barrel brought back a sense of power to the weapon class. Ninja and Myth, two of the most popular Fortnite streamers at the time of writing, weighed in on the new weapon right after its release by approving its power and effectiveness, with the former mentioning how it is perfect for its ‘intention.’ It’s good for what it’s useful for – it’s intention, Right? […] Every single build fight, every single fight, there’s always that moment where there’s no building going on when people trade, and that’s when you can go bam, bam! Get two shots off and just wreck the opponent. Myth followed up Ninja’s comments by providing an interesting fact of his own, which is that the Double Barrel is the only shotgun that can instantly destroy builds. “Another interesting note, I don’t know if you’ve seen or thought about it yet, but it’s the only shotgun that can one-shot a building […] You know how shotguns used to be able to break builds? Once somebody places a floor, you can – boom – and just blast their wall.” The full clip of Myth and Ninja discussing the Double Barrel can be viewed below.

Myth and POACH Discuss Cloud9’s Aggressive Recruitment Strategy in Fortnite: “I think they’ve got some info” – Dexerto
Myth and POACH Discuss Cloud9’s Aggressive Recruitment Strategy in Fortnite: “I think they’ve got some info” Epic GamesTSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani and Team Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve have discussed Cloud9’s aggressive recruitment strategy in Fortnite Battle Royale and what it could mean. Whether you believe the battle royale genre works as an esport or not, Epic Games’ pledge to put at least $100 million into competitive Fortnite for the 2018-19 season means that it is impossible to ignore. Most major esports organizations have now decided to invest in the massively popular game with professional Fortnite rosters or players, but few have made the level of commitment that Cloud9 has. The North American organization currently boasts three Fortnite teams, Fortnite Blue, Fortnite White, and Fortnite Korea, as well having Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser and Brody ‘Starke2K’ Wellmaker signed as solo pros. Cloud9’s recruitment strategy has also caught the eyes of other community members; TSM’s Myth and Team Liquid’s POACH discussed the subject during a recent stream and POACH made it clear that he thinks Cloud9 has “got some info” and knows something that the rest of us don’t. POACH believes that the organization is “betting on multiple teams being able to compete under the same org” and Myth responds by saying “they have an army, dude”. Most esports do not allow multiple teams to compete under the same organization due to the obvious concerns about collusion or match fixing, but Cloud9 seems to be banking on Epic Games taking a more hands off approach to Fortnite. A more cynical view of the situation would be to say that Cloud9 is snapping up the services of as many players as possible while they are not under contract and have no buyout price. This does not only save money in the short term but also opens up the potential to sell player contracts for a massive profit when/if competitive Fortnite begins to blow up and the circuit is more established.

Mysterious music video discovered in Fortnite game files featuring Marshmello – Dexerto
Mysterious music video discovered in Fortnite game files featuring Marshmello In a bizarre discovery, it appears an entire music video has been discovered in the Fortnite game files following the v7.20 update on January 15, featuring electronic music DJ and producer Marshmello. Following every major Fortnite update, data miners will dig around the game files in search of any as yet unreleased items or additions. These typically included new skins and cosmetics, hints at new Limited Time Modes, weapons or items, but in a first for Fortnite leaks, an entire music video has been uncovered. A Twitter user with a track record of Fortnite leaks posted the video and accompanying music, which appears to be a mix of some of Marshmello’s biggest tracks including ‘Wolves’ featuring Selena Gomez. The video is over five minutes long, and includes lots of Marshmello visuals, although nothing which appears directly related to Fortnite. You can see the clip below, via @lucas7yoshi_. This is in the fortnite files — Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite News & Leaks (@lucas7yoshi_) January 15, 2019 It’s unclear what purpose this may have and why exactly it has been added to the Fortnite game files along with the v7.20 update. It is assigned in a folder named: ‘ContentMoviesFestivusVideo5MinTest_02.mp4’ There is a sighting of the new medieval sword weapon which has been leaked, which has drawn comparisons to the infamous ‘Infinity Blade’ that was removed in late 2018. Marshmello has had connections to Fortnite in the past, primarily through his friendship with Ninja, the game’s most well known player and content creator. The pair played as a duo at Fortnite’s Pro-Am event at E3, where top Fortnite players teamed up with celebrities. Ninja and Marshmello won the event, securing millions for charities of their choice.

Mysterious Fortnite loot boat is moving with each map change – Dexerto
Mysterious Fortnite loot boat is moving with each map change Epic Games[jwplayer dDOO1bSy]Fortnite players have noticed that the mysterious loot boat that first appeared behind the Fortilla is slowly creeping its way around the map following recent changes. Ever since Epic Games started to make their map changes a bit crazier, players have been looking to find secrets that may impact the story of the season. Back in season eight, the mysterious black helicopter moved around the map and ultimately hinted at big changes. In Chapter 2, Season 3, those secret changes are slightly hard to find given that most of the map is underwater. However, after the water level started to lower on July 11, players have been able to dig into new map tweaks. Now, some have noticed that the loot boat that was close to the very edge of the map in the southwest corner is slowly inching its way to new destinations. Popular streamer SypherPK highlighted the secret change is his map changes video, showing just how far the loot boat has traveled since the start of the season. “This boat right over here was not here before, Sypher noted, pointing to a spot on the map where Slurp Factory used to be. “That boat seems to be moving, and honestly, there’s really one area it’s moving towards.” Sypher pointed out that the boat is seemingly headed for the dam that sits not too far away from Misty Meadows. Though, there’s no telling where it could go. The boat’s movement was the only change coming to that part of the map, however. Parts of the small islands around Rickety Rig also disappeared with the change in water level. Whether or not the boat’s movement will lay into the story and conclusion of Chapter 2, Season 3 remains to be seen. But, one thing is for sure, players will be keeping an eye on it’s whereabouts moving forward now that others are becoming more aware of it.

Mysterious Fortnite teaser could be first glimpse at Season 8 Discovery Skin – Dexerto
Mysterious Fortnite teaser could be first glimpse at Season 8 Discovery Skin Fortnite Battle Royale developers Epic Games have put out a mysterious image and tweet many are thinking is a teaser for the Season 8 Discovery skin. What is a Discovery Skin in Fortnite? Every season in Fortnite there is a special outfit skin that can only be unlocked after players fully complete a minimum number of weekly challenges throughout that season. These outfit skins are usually released during the second half of the season and are themed after the season’s overall theme. Read More: Fortnite Season 8, Week 6 challenges and how to complete them – Treasure Map, highest elevations and more – The Season 7 Discovery Skin was the Prisoner, which was earned by completing 60 the weekly challenges in the Battle Pass. Once they had the skin, players could also unlock three new styles for the Prisoner by completing additional challenges. Fortnite release teaser for Season 8 Discovery Skin On April 4, an image was tweeted out by the official Fortnite Twitter account which featured a close-up of the face of a menacing looking figure with eyes that glowed bright orange. The image of the skin was accompanied by the caption “Ruin is coming…,” which is most likely the name given to the character. Read More: Why does Prince Harry want Fortnite banned? – Many are speculating that this will indeed be the Season 8 Discovery Skin, especially since the apparent fiery theme of the skin falls in line with the volcano/lava theme of this season. Prominent Fortnite news and leaks outlet @FortTory played around with the image using editing software, and was able to increase its brightness to the point where a melted mask-like object could be seen covering the skin’s face. I played with he picture and got this…. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS pic.twitter.com/DOjAQ0kNQ0— FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 4, 2019 Other possibilities for the teaser image Of course, there is no guarantee that the tweet and image put out by Epic has anything to do with the Season 8 Discovery skin. There is a chance that they are simply hyping up a cosmetic item set that they expect will be a popular choice in the Item Shop once it releases. @iScenario, another Fortnite content creator, has found a stark similarity between the teaser and the data-mined image of an unreleased Epic pickaxe called Demon Skull, and there is no doubt that the two have a matching theme. I say this is a new skin due to the fact that there’s an un-encrypted pickaxe (Demon Skull – Epic Rarity) that fits the theme accordingly. pic.twitter.com/j4uGAidCzp — Scenario (@iScenario) April 4, 2019 There’s also the possibility that the teaser could be for some sort of event or Limited Time Mode, similar to how Epic used the Ice King skin from Season 7 to tease the Ice Storm in-game event. At the end of the day we’ll just have to wait and see, because one teaser image is never going to be conclusive enough to prove one theory correct over another.

Mysterious Fortnite Lazing Device weapon leaked – Dexerto
Mysterious Fortnite Lazing Device weapon leaked Epic GamesEpic Games appear to be readying a new mysterious weapon in the Fortnite world, as a new Lazing Device has been leaked by data miners. The popular third-person shooter has previously led the way in the battle royale space for new updates, though there’s not been much in the way of meta changing twists and turns for some time. However, that might be all about to change. Fortnite’s teasers and constant map changes have been hinting at the Galactus event kicking off soon. Now, it looks like yet another device is going to mix things up again – which players may be wary about, after seeing the impact of the Doomsday Device. New Fortnite Lazing Device leaked This time, though, it looks like this device will be an ordinary weapon. On November 4, dataminer Mang0e revealed their latest discovery – the Lazing Device. While there is very little in the way of clues or evidence relating to what this weapon can do, they suspect it may have something to do with the Galactus event. “It uses base bolt sniper states, same as the cosmos ones. The name “Lazing” could also be connected to this,” the leaker posted. New Weapon in the works: “”Lazing Device”” It’s WID is all over the place, but I suspect this *could* be a prototype of the upcoming Cosmos (event and/or Galactus) rifle. It uses Base Bolt Sniper stats, same as the Cosmos ones. The name “”Lazing”” could also be connected to this. pic.twitter.com/GgVuOcYot8 — Mang0e (@Mang0e_) November 4, 2020 In a follow-up post, the user reiterated that they can’t actually confirm whether or not this is connected to the game’s next big event, but has a “gut feeling” that it might be. Whether or not it turns out that way remains to be seen, so we shall wait. Another thing members of the community will be waiting for, and even its leakers, will be a first look at the weapon as well. Chances are, we won’t be firing sniper bullets from a huge pink square any time soon.

Mysterious ‘Butterfly’ event coming to Fortnite – Data miners leak audio files, meshes and more – Dexerto
Mysterious ‘Butterfly’ event coming to Fortnite – Data miners leak audio files, meshes and more New audio files relating to some sort of ‘Butterfly’ event in Fortnite Battle Royale have been leaked by data miners, but what the sounds are is anybody’s guess. The v6.21 update for Fortnite went live on November 1 and data miners have been hard at work ever since, leaking new skins, cosmetics and more from the patch files. One leak that has left everyone scratching their heads, though, is the ‘Butterfly’ event audio file shared by @siloxleaks on Twitter. The data miner has described the sounds as “weird,” even suggesting that there were: “A lot of rocket sounding noises,” but we’ll leave you to make your own conclusions: *SPOILERS* “”Butterfly”” event sound files (PART 1 since twitter is dumb). They are pretty spicy… pic.twitter.com/j8SoXa5cIv — Silox (@siloxleaks) November 1, 2018 *SPOILERS* “”Butterfly”” event sound files (PART 2) pic.twitter.com/noAwSqSBhM — Silox (@siloxleaks) November 1, 2018 To us, some sections of the audio sound fairly inoffensive, while others actually remind us of the noises you’d expect to hear from a dragon or monster of the same calibre. Perhaps a Cube Dragon is on the horizon and the name ‘Butterfly’ is simply Epic’s way of joking about it! To add to the confusion, @siloxleaks found another ‘Butterfly’ file within a ‘Pets’ folder elsewhere in the patch files. Are the two related or are the developers intentionally keeping us guessing? So… is the butterfly a pet…? File name is “”CharacterFlipBook_D”” pic.twitter.com/1f0XjXxsHA — Silox (@siloxleaks) November 1, 2018 Butterfly-related leaks continued, with @gambitanimating sharing a more detailed image for the ‘Butterfly Character Flipbook’ on Twitter. The same user even discovered a number of Butterfly meshes, and @siloxleaks found a Butterfly Background in the Nexus files. Mysterious Dragon Eggs in Fortnite have gone missing from Polar Peak – Dexerto
Mysterious Dragon Eggs in Fortnite have gone missing from Polar Peak The Dragon Eggs which were previously found in the castle at Polar Peak in Fortnite, have mysteriously disappeared following the v7.40 update, leading fans to speculate that there is some kind of event on the horizon. The eggs were originally found right at the start of Season 7, buried deep in the snow and ice which was locked around the castle, but as it began to melt, the eggs became visible in-game. Looking closely into the eggs, players spotted what appeared to be the shapes of small dragons, leading to further speculation that there would be some mythical creatures making an appearance soon. Whether it was in fact dragons or some other kind of creature is unknown, but whatever they were, they have either hatched, or Epic Games simply changed their mind and removed them for no reason at all. The latter seems unlikely, since Epic always have imaginative in-game story lines drummed up – and with something huge expected for the end of Season 7/start of Season 8, whatever was in those eggs could play a crucial role. Leaks from the game files have all but confirmed that there will be some kind of earthquake, possibly targeting Tilted Towers – and something to do with a ‘Cracken’. A ‘Kraken’ (spelt with a K) is a mythical underwater monster, but the game files have spelt the word with a C instead – and why would Kraken eggs be laid in the castle, well above sea level? If it is indeed a dragon, then perhaps the creature(s) will be responsible for the earthquake/disaster that is impending. Players have already felt and seen tremors in-game, but we are still waiting on what will be the true impact of this event – set to take us into Season 8 with bang (or a quake).

Mysterious Bolts of Lightning are Striking Down from the Sky Rifts in Fortnite – Dexerto
Mysterious Bolts of Lightning are Striking Down from the Sky Rifts in Fortnite Michael PutmanMore oddities are beginning to appear in Fortnite Battle Royale after the recent v5.30 Update. The latest unusual activity on the map are random bolts of pink/purple lightning that are coming from the Rifts in the sky and striking the ground. Players began reporting seeing the lightning some time after the launch of the v5.30 Update on August 23. Footage of these lightning strikes have been posted on social media, including the following video taken in the desert area near Paradise Palms, courtesy of ‘@LootLakeBR.’ These lightning strikes appear to be taking place at totally random times and at random locations on the map. While there is no evidence that they cause any damage to players, the bolts are leaving black burn marks on the ground where they strike. While the lightning seems to be random, it appears that attempting to destroy the Motel Sign with a pickaxe does cause a bolt to appear from a nearby rift and strike down at the sign. Footage of this occurrence can be seen below, courtesy of ‘FortniteINTEL.’ This is not the first time in Fortnite that things have come down from the sky to strike the ground. During the last days of Season 3, meteors would consistently rain down from the sky and crash into the map at various locations. While the end of Season 5 is not yet near, this could be some sort of foreshadowing or a hint at what players can look forward to next Season.

Muselk’s Attempt to Save Trapped Fortnite Player is One of the Greatest Stories Ever Told – Dexerto
Muselk’s Attempt to Save Trapped Fortnite Player is One of the Greatest Stories Ever Told Fortnite streamer Elliot ‘Muselk’ Watkins spotted a player outside the limits of the map during a match and attempted to rescue them; what followed was a series of events showing off the best Fortnite has to offer. The clip starts with Muselk fighting someone near the edge of the map, unaware of what they were doing there. He wins the battle, but notices the player’s ATK dangling close to a cliff leading out of bounds. While inspecting the situation, Muselk sees the reason for the kart and player he fought being so close to the edge. There is another player that fell off of the ledge, but survived. Muselk spots an opportunity to be a good Samaritan and tries to help the fallen player. Watch as @MrMuselk attempts to rescue a fellow player. (Engineering x Good Intentions) + Miscalculations = pic.twitter.com/Q3KbaJjxoc — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) July 17, 2018 The rescue mission went terribly, with Muselk accidentally killing the player he tried to save by running him over with the ATK after falling down uncontrollably. The hilarious slapstick moment after all that work was worth a clip on its own, however, the player’s death may not have been an accident. Chappadoodle, the trapped player who was run over, told his side of the story on reddit – leading to a legendary tale of sacrifice in Fortnite When he saw the ATK plummeting towards him, Chappadoodle knew the kart was going to roll right into the ocean, killing Muselk during the daring rescue attempt. Chappadoodle actually jumped in front of the ATK to stop it from rolling and was sent into the ocean himself, saving Muselks life. Muselk started off trying to save Chappadoodle, but instead it was Chappadoodle who saved Muselk in the end. Take whatever moral lesson you’d like out of this one.

Music Packs are included in Fortnite’s Season 6 Battle Pass – Dexerto
Music Packs are included in Fortnite’s Season 6 Battle Pass Epic Games have added Music Packs to their massively popular game, Fortnite Battle Royale. The packs are only available through the paid version of the Battle Pass which is available to purchase in-game for 950 V-Bucks. These packs will give players an option to change the music they hear when in pre-match lobbies or menus. There are three Music Packs available to unlock in the Season 6 Battle Pass, OG (Remix), Squeaky Clean and a final pack that currently doesn’t have a name. OG (Remix) is a remixed version of Fortnite Battle Royale’s original main menu music, and is something that fans have been wanting to make a return to the game for a long time. Players who want to hear the music again will need to grind, as it’s not unlockable until Battle Pass Level 92. Epic Games vault a number of items for Fortnite’s Season 6There also seems to be a Halloween themed Music Pack included in the Battle Pass at Level 53, but it currently does not have a name in-game. The artwork for the pack features what appears to be a haunted house, with a jack-o-lantern featured prominently in the bottom left corner. Music packs aren’t the only addition to Fortnite in the Season 6 update, with brand new items such as pets and Shadow Stones added, along with some leaked skins and cosmetics.

Muselk reveals game-breaking Fortnite glitch to get infinite metal – Dexerto
Muselk reveals game-breaking Fortnite glitch to get infinite metal YouTube: Muselk / Epic GamesElliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins has shared a game-breaking Fortnite glitch that allows players to farm infinite amounts of metal to use in their builds. Getting your hands on a decent amount of metal can make the late game in Fortnite a lot easier. Being able to build more sturdy structures can help you in those clutch buildfights. However, it can be hard to come by, especially if you get beaten to the punch by other players. That’s what makes Muselk’s new glitch all the more powerful. Outlining the strategy on a March 24 YouTuber video, the Australian Fortnite YouTuber managed to get the glitch working after a few failed attempts. In the gas station east of Frenzy Farm across the river, there’s a glitch that allows you to get unlimited metal from the petrol pumps. If you hit the sweet spots perfectly at the start, the pump will remain on one health indefinitely, allowing you and your teammates to farm it for free materials. Given that metal is the strongest material in Fortnite to build with — as well as the rarest — being able to have an almost infinite supply of it can be the difference between winning a game and losing it. Metal materials have 500 health compared to Brick’s 300 and Wood’s 150, making it a solid base for your sky-high builds so they don’t all come crumbling down. It also provides players more opportunities to play pixel angles around edits. Without the fear of getting blown open by a few stray shots, you can step up more aggressively in your boxes with edits around metal and pick players off. While you can only store 999 of each material at a time, players would be hard-pressed to get even close to that number of metal in a regular game, making this exploit incredibly powerful. However, in classic Muselk fashion, the YouTuber forewent the more competitive route for something a bit more fun — making a massive sky base out of metal. Read more: Fortnite 12.21 update patch notes – He enlisted the help of around 20 players to get enough of the material to build massive ramps and structures across the map. While they did manage to get some progress, it wasn’t long before players were hit by the banhammer for teaming — Muselk included. Epic is yet to comment on the bug themselves, but given how viral Muselk’s strategy has gone, it’s likely the Fortnite developers are aware of the issue and will patch it out soon. You might want to be cautious running it yourself in case they ban players for exploits — not just teaming — in public lobbies. But, if you want to see it for yourself, go drop just east of Frenzy Farm to get the goods.

Muselk reveals how new Fortnite skin is “pay to win” – Dexerto
Muselk reveals how new Fortnite skin is “pay to win” YouTube: MuselkElliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins has raised concerns about the new Fortnite Boxer skin, released in Patch v12.30, claiming its camouflage makes it one of the most “pay to win” cosmetics in the game. While the latest Fortnite patch was dominated by the Deadpool events, a few new cosmetics snuck their way into the game. The Boxy and Boxer skins might seem simple enough, but they have proven to be problematic in some areas of the map. Some players, including Australian YouTuber Muselk, have gone as far as saying the duo of skins are pay to win. Why? They camo too well in some of the game’s terrain. In an April 5 video, Muselk demonstrated just how the uncommon skins are better used strategically than just for their good looks. With clusters of boxes and cardboard appearing around the map, the head of the Boxer skin blends in perfectly, allowing for players to hide in plain sight. As unsuspecting players walked past, Muselk popped up and one-shot them, leaving his enemies completely confused. While the body can be a dead giveaway, with the right set-up, the Boxy and Boxer skins can catch players unawares. Muselk is no stranger to breaking Fortnite, constantly trying to find new and interesting ways to fudge the rules of the game. However, even this skin took him aback, saying that while players never suspect camouflaging with skins to work, time and time again they are proven wrong. “We thought every skin camoflague glitch was dumb, and somehow, every single time they work ridiculously well,” he said. “Pay to win skins are, kind of, back in the game.” For mobile readers, the related segment starts at 5:57. As Muselk alluded to, the Boxy skin isn’t the first skin in Fortnite to come under fire for being “pay to win.” Event-specific skins, like the Gingerbread skin during the Christmas event, have blended in suspiciously well into their surroundings. The Green Soldier skin, however, is the most notorious of the lot. Players could jump into any bush across the map and blend in perfectly, making their enemies’ lives hell. There’s not much Epic can do about the skins being good camouflage in certain situations. Players themselves will have to just be wary of the trap, and shoot at every box they walk past just in case.

Muselk explains why he thinks Fortnite is “no fun” anymore – Dexerto
Muselk explains why he thinks Fortnite is “no fun” anymore Epic Games / Instagram: mrmuselkPopular YouTuber Elliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins has explained why he believes there’s “no fun left” in Fortnite anymore – despite still predominantly playing the game and consistently creating content on it. The Australian YouTuber is one of the many that has seen his channel and brand grow tremendously throughout Fortnite’s lifecycle, but is the latest in a long list of names to come out and speak against the direction the battle royale title is heading. After the likes of CouRage and DrLupo also explained why they can’t play the game in the same way anymore, Muselk echoed a similar sentiment. Talking about it on April 20, Muselk explains that he thinks Fortnite is “in an absolutely dumb spot” and that it shouldn’t take “someone like him who players Fortnite every day, 6 hours to win a game.” He then lists how dying to glitches, losing shotgun vs. SMG fights because the SMG user is a controller player, and being heavy sniped out of nowhere as reasons for his growing discontent with the game. Finally, his finishing line is the one that hits the hardest, simply saying that “there’s no fun left in Fortnite,” a pretty damning verdict. Dying to glitches (e.g that last tweet), losing Shotgun vs. SMG fights because the SMG was a controller player with auto aim. And then ultimately just getting heavy sniped out of fucking nowhere by someone who wants to play worlds. Theres no fun left in Fortnite.— Muselk (@muselk) April 20, 2020 Muselk also adds that it’s “no wonder pros and casuals are quitting the game more and more each day,” which does seem to be backed up by some of the top streamers we’ve seen move away from Fortnite throughout 2020 so far. One of the people to respond to Muselk’s tweets was fellow content creator Ali-A, who said that Epic Games need to “reduce skill-based matchmaking and introduce fun items to the game again,” using the hashtag #MakeFortniteFunAgain. The ongoing collaboration with US rapper Travis Scott, which sees cosmetics of the artist coming to the game as well as a series of concerts played across different regions, seems to be a step in the right direction for Fortnite. That said, complaints about SBMM and a lack of “fun” in Fortnite right now are becoming slightly more common, so Epic Games might be looking for ways to bring back the Fortnite of old in Chapter 2, Season 3.

Muselk explains why Fortnite needs “proper” ranked system – Dexerto
Muselk explains why Fortnite needs “proper” ranked system YouTube: Muselk / Epic GamesElliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins might not be making FNCS finals every season, but that hasn’t stopped him from joining in the chorus of players asking Epic to introduce a proper ranked system into Fortnite. Fortnite’s competitive scene has been a point of debate since the inception of battle royale in 2017. While players have been able to rank themselves on top through tournaments, only in the last 12 months was an in-game ranking system added. However, the Arena ranked mode isn’t good enough for some — including Muselk. While players can play Arena to get a chance to play daily cups and qualifiers for major tournaments, there’s no real way of tracking who’s number one on the ladder. Muselk has called on Epic to change this in the upcoming Chapter 2: Season 3 update, and looking at introducing a “proper” ranked system. “Really hoping next season we see Fortnite add a proper elo competitive system,” he said on Twitter. “Feel like it’d be such a win-win.” Really hoping next season we see fortnite add a PROPER elo competitive system. Feel like it’d be such a win win. A place for pros to REALLY grind and feel like they’re improving, and would make pubs at least somewhat more ‘fun’ focussed.— Muselk (@muselk) April 27, 2020 The two winners he’s pointing out are not just the competitive community, but the casuals too. Ranked lobbies will give more players who want to improve incentive to grind, while normals will return to becoming the place to chill out and try out silly strategies. At the moment, with the two combined into one — outside of Arena — it can feel like every game is a fight for your life. “[It’d be] a place for pros to really grind and feel like they’re improving, and would make pubs at least somewhat more ‘fun’ focused.” Battle royale games like Apex Legends and PUBG have successfully implemented ranked modes into their games. By focusing on eliminations alongside placement, players will gain or lose elo depending on how well they perform in each lobby. Muselk believes that now is the time to add ranked to the biggest battle royale on the planet in an attempt to try and make the game enjoyable again. The Australian YouTuber has also said Fortnite is “in an absolutely dumb spot”, and Season 3 could be the deal-breaker for a lot of players. Epic’s plans for the next update have been tightly guarded though, so we will have to wait and see if change is truly on the horizon.

Muselk explains why he still prefers Fortnite over Warzone – Dexerto
Muselk explains why he still prefers Fortnite over Warzone Instagram: mrmuselk[jwplayer ESyDssxd]Popular Australian YouTuber Elliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins has explained why he still prefers to play Fortnite over Warzone in his appearance on the CouRage & Nadeshot Show. Muselk and some of his former Click Crew associates, such as Lazarbeam and Loserfruit, became absolutely massive off the back of Fortnite’s success throughout 2018 and 2019 and forged massive careers for themselves. While other content creators that were huge within the Fortnite realm, such as Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop himself, have moved on to different titles, Muselk has stuck with Fortnite. Warzone has been the main winner from any depletion Fortnite’s player base may have experienced throughout 2020, with many of the top content creators making the switch to Call of Duty’s latest battle royale hit. For Muselk, though, Warzone doesn’t quite offer the same satisfaction that Fortnite still does, even to this day. “Don’t get me wrong: I love Warzone,” he said. “I think that it’s so, so fun. I don’t necessarily think it has quite the depth of gameplay to keep people… Once you hit that 1000 hours mark, I think Fortnite’s a game where I still feel like I’m learning so much everyday.” He goes on to explain that he believes this is the case because of Fortnite’s unique building element, and that he has some friends who are already starting to get a little tired of Warzone. While Muselk clearly believes he can gain a lot more from Fortnite in terms of depth of gameplay than he would do from Warzone, Nadeshot was quick to play Devil’s Advocate and suggest that perhaps the building element is what drove so many people away from Fortnite in the first place. Although many other top content creators have switched to Warzone, Muselk is still seeing a lot of success in Fortnite, and with this you can tell how much he still thoroughly enjoys it.

Muselk claims Epic is “redefining gaming” with mega Fortnite Chapter 3 releases – Dexerto
Muselk claims Epic is “redefining gaming” with mega Fortnite Chapter 3 releases YouTube: Muselk / Epic GamesYouTube star Elliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins accelerated his gaming content empire thanks to Fortnite. Now in an exclusive interview with Dexerto, the Australian has praised Epic for “redefining the industry” with their mega Fortnite releases which have continued in Chapter 3. Muselk has played his fair share of games on stream and for his wildly-successful YouTube channel. Boasting 10 million subscribers combined across his main and secondary channel, he has one of the biggest empires on the platform. While it was built on the foundation of Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch, the skyscraper shot up thanks to Fortnite. Four years on from the game’s explosive rise and Muselk is still reaping the benefits with millions of views on each and every video he posts. With a quiet Chapter 2 all things considered, and Fortnite’s player base slowly waning, Epic has managed to win players back in Fortnite Chapter 3, with Muselk telling Dexerto the developers have “redefined the industry”. “New content and new features are always amazing, but Epic is doing a great job. I think it’s impossible to be a developer of a game which is the size of Fortnite and not have people constantly criticize it,” he said, talking about the Chapter 2 backlash. “If you look at how games were updated and run before Fortnite, Overwatch was considered to be a decent live-service model with their one update every 3-4 months, but Fortnite redefined the industry by pushing content out constantly. “They run fast, they break a few eggs, but it worked.” It’s not just been new weapons and cosmetics to keep the money rolling in. It’s innovative new gameplay mechanics and features that keep players coming back. Each LTM, each little easter egg, it’s a fun little mechanic to explore — just like the new Pizza Parties which Muselk played around with. For Muselk as a content creator, it also gives him a solid future in Fortnite. There’s little need to worry about searching for the next hit game — although that’s always on the star’s mind. Instead, he can look for the small nuggets of content in each update that inspire a new video. “There’s not a simple answer to [what new content makes it into a video] really because every new patch is different. There’s some things where they add a new weapon and you get away with gameplay with that new weapon,” he explained. Read More: Can you kill Klombo in Fortnite? – “However, the fun happens when the update adds something random, a bit of a wild card. It gives you unique ways to build a totally new idea out of it. “For example, when they had Santa in the truck riding around the map, that was cool because that’s an element in the game you could tinker around with — taking out Santa, dressing up as him and trolling players thinking you’re the NPC, those kinds of things.” It’s those out of left-field ideas that keeps Muselk interested in Fortnite — both as a YouTube star and a player. While the star is always on the lookout for the next game, Fortnite is as healthy as it was back in 2017 in his eyes, and the future for Epic’s battle royale is bright. “Obviously I love doing what I’m doing, but I think it’s hard because you’re always on the lookout for cool new things you can make content with. The good thing with the games industry is you never know when that’s going to come,” he said. “I don’t know what the next game is after Fortnite. I’ve got games I’m passionate about, like playing DOTA in my spare time, but the next game for content I can’t really say.”

Multiple-Time Summer Skirmish Champion ‘Vivid’ Joins Team Liquid’s Pro Fortnite Team – Dexerto
Multiple-Time Summer Skirmish Champion ‘Vivid’ Joins Team Liquid’s Pro Fortnite Team Top competitive Fortnite prospect Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright has joined Team Liquid’s pro Fortnite roster. The news was announced live on Vivid’s Twitch stream on August 29, as well as a on Team Liquid’s official Twitter page. There are reports that Vivid will be immediately put into in the main team, taking the place of current Liquid pro ‘Strafesh0t,’ who will apparently be moved to the reserve team. However, these reports have not been confirmed and no formal announcement about roster management has been made by Team Liquid as of yet. Formerly known as ‘NotVivid,’ Vivid has taken the competitive Fortnite community by storm in recent weeks thanks to his performances in the ongoing $8 million Summer Skirmish tournament series. After being invited to participate in the series due to his top performances in previous Solo Showdown events, the player has taken full advantage of the opportunity, winning multiple events, close to $200K, and establishing himself as a household name among Fortnite fans and players. Team Liquid is proud to announce the latest and greatest addition to our Fortnite team: the ‘Faker of Fortnite’, Noah “Vivid” Wright! With 4 Summer Skirmish titles already studding his belt, Vivid is the most decorated player in Fortnite’s summer series so far. Whether it’s in Solos or Duos, Vivid has displayed a remarkable consistency at the top of Fortnite’s pro ladder, and he’s expected to continue racking up those wins. He’s even won a round with Poach, and we’re excited to see Vivid build a better understanding with the rest of the Liquid squad. We will be providing everything that Vivid needs to become even better at the battle royale, and he will be linking up with 72hrs and Co. to form arguably the best team in competitive Fortnite. As the summer heat continues to rise, Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish heads into its 8th Week with an offline bash at PAX West in Seattle this weekend. $1.5 million dollars will be on the line, and Vivid will be there to meet up with his new teammates to take on this Solos event. In the meantime, you can watch Vivid grind Victory Royales on his stream as he practices for the weekend’s big tournament. What got you into Fortnite? So originally I played Fortnite on the console, specifically on Xbox. My friends and I were looking for a new game to play and Fortnite came out so I played squads with them. I got up to about 100 wins on Xbox then my friend and I got a PC and started playing on that. I only played a couple times a week, and then in February (Season 3) one of my friends got me into playing every day. So I have pretty much been grinding the game every day for about 5 or 6 months. Has your family been supportive of your new career? My dad has never really cared about how much video games I’ve played. I mean, he was always worried and been like: “Hey make sure all your school work is done, make sure you go to work and get some money”, because before Fortnite I wasn’t really making any money. As soon as I started making some money from Fortnite he was supportive of me pursuing it as a career and trying to make the most of it. What were you doing before Fortnite? Before Fortnite I was a college student. I went into college majoring in Biology and realized I didn’t really like it, so I ended up switching to Computer Science and I finished up one semester of that — and then summer break came along this summer. I would have been a junior this year if I was going back to college, but instead I’ll be pursuing Fortnite and streaming full time. Outside of that my summer job was a part time job in a machine shop working as a laborer. What do you think the future of competitive Fortnite will be like? I don’t really know, because they’re basically doing a different format every week, which I really like. Epic is trying to figure out the best way to establish a competitive scene in a battle royale game. Obviously in other popular games like Counter-Strike and Call of Duty there are set game modes, but when you implement a battle royale it’s kind of new to the competitive scene so they’re trying to establish a very fair competitive scoring system and trying different things out. I have high hopes for the future of competitive Fortnite simply because Epic is putting a lot of time and effort into figuring that out. How does it feel to be on Team Liquid? What drew you to the org, and how do you feel about playing with the guys? I used to play League of Legends and back then they were called Team Curse, so I have been following Team Liquid for a very long time. I’ve always known that they are a good org, and I’ve never heard anything bad about the way they do things, so I considered them a really good option for myself. When it came to choosing my team I really wanted to be comfortable with the standing roster, and I watched Tom, Poach, and Chap a lot and I loved their personalities. When I got into calls with them on Discord it was so natural to have a conversation and when we got in games together the gameplay just flowed really well. That was a huge part, because there was a natural chemistry and we felt really comfortable together. Also, Steve is a very nice guy and it all came together and it felt like the right thing to do.

Muselk breaks obscure Fortnite world record without using weapons – Dexerto
Muselk breaks obscure Fortnite world record without using weapons YouTube: Muselk / Epic GamesElliott ‘Muselk’ Watkins has set out on claiming a new Fortnite world record for himself by winning the most consecutive games without firing a single bullet, and by his accounts, he’s managed to smash it out of the park. Muselk is no stranger to trying to break anything and everything related to Fortnite. Whether it’s a wacky glitch from within the game, or a random record someone has set, Muselk tasks himself with trying to break it. Now, the Australian YouTuber may have just added another quirky gem to his illustrious Fortnite crown. He set out to break the world record for “how many games you can win in a row without using a single weapon,” and by his numbers, he did just that. In an April 9 video, Muselk detailed just how he set about breaking this rather obscure record. According to his research, it was three wins with no weapons — which can be traced back to Tim ‘Bizzle’ Miller’s attempt during the Fortnite World Cup in 2019. “Step 1: we get max material. Step 2: we head down to the swamp and get as many fish as we can. Step 3: we use the fish to win the game.” He admitted it was “easier said than done,” but after weeks of trying, he was determined. His previous attempts had all been thwarted after being “inevitably stream sniped” by viewers as he tried to set the record live on broadcast. Watch previous world record holder Bizzle set the bar. However, as soon as he made the switch to offline, Muselk’s fortunes turned in his favor. He found his groove — farming materials, getting fish, finding a helicopter, and floating above the final circle. One win turned into two, and he was getting momentum to take Bizzle’s record away. While he did have to use his pickaxe to secure a kill in one game, he otherwise did it without drawing blood, nailing five games in a row to set a record. His sixth game was cut short rather unceremoniously, getting flanked and taken down very early in the game before he could farm up his materials. However, he set out, and did what he wanted to do. Watch Muselk’s world record-breaking attempt below. While there’s no continuous stream to make sure that he didn’t cut out any games in between, by all accounts, his record will hold true. It’ll take a dedicated player to try and topple it. However, now that Muselk has revealed his strat book, it might not be long until someone comes along and tries to challenge him for it.

Multiple Time Fortnite Summer Skirmish Champion ‘NotVivid’ Talks About His Family’s Reaction to Him Winning So Much Money – Dexerto
Multiple Time Fortnite Summer Skirmish Champion ‘NotVivid’ Talks About His Family’s Reaction to Him Winning So Much Money Epic Games’ Summer Skirmish competitive series has given many aspiring Fortnite players a once-in-a-lifetime chance to achieve their dreams. One competitor who has taken full advantage of his opportunity is ‘NotVivid,’ who has won three of the five events that have been played so far. NotVivid was initially invited to participate in the Summer Skirmish due to his strong performances in the public ‘Showdown’ in-game competitive Fortnite events, but his Skirmish performances have now earned him an entry nearly every week. He teamed with fellow Showdown top performer ‘Kevie1’ to place first in Week 1, won the Week 4 solo event, and took home first again in Week 5 while playing with Team Liquid pro ‘Poach.’ Read More: Epic Games Reveals Longest Range Shots and Most Eliminations From First Four Weeks of Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ – His total winnings have now reached $150,000, an incredible sum of money over a short period of time. Speaking with hosts ‘MonsterDFace’ and ‘TwoLoudTX’ on Dexerto’s ‘The Fortnite Podcast,’ the 20 year old recounted how his family did not initially realize what his son was actually achieving. “I don’t think my dad really believed me in the first week. I was like ‘dad I just won $25,000’ and he’s like ‘ok wow,’ he’s just like ‘when I see it, I’ll believe you.” Ultimately, NotVivid’s incredible achievements have earned his father’s respect not only towards him, but the gaming and esports industries as a whole. “I can tell he’s pretty impressed. He sent me a text somewhere along the lines of “sorry for ever doubting your video gaming” and stuff like that. So I think it was a lot about him starting to respect the industry and stuff, because, you know, a lot of people, and nothing against people who are of like older generation, but it’s very hard for them to comprehend, because they don’t comprehend technology, most of the time. Let alone, you can make money from technology? And stuff like that. I think he’s finally starting to do his own research and figure it out for himself that ‘wow, it is possible. If you can do it, you can do it.’ “ The entirety of NotVivid’s interview on The Fortnite Podcast can be viewed below, with the segment regarding his family starting at the 36:50 mark.

Multiple Fortnite pros mysteriously disqualified on Day 1 of FNCS Global Championship – Dexerto
Multiple Fortnite pros mysteriously disqualified on Day 1 of FNCS Global Championship Epic GamesThe FNCS is Fortnite’s premier esports competition, and this year’s Global Championship 2023 takes place in Denmark beginning October 13. However, just before Day 1 of the tournament, a number of Fortnite pros were inexplicably disqualified, causing unrest in the community. Here’s what we know so far. The Fortnite competitive scene has expanded greatly since the first FNCS tournament was held in 2018. Competition is high due to the stakes involved and the aspiration of becoming the top player in the world and grabbing the coveted FNCS trophy. It goes without saying that in any competitive sport, including Fortnite, ensuring fair play and integrity is of the utmost importance. In order to maintain the integrity of the FNCS competition, it is sometimes necessary to disqualify players. Fair play and allegations of hacking and cheating are the usual grounds for a player’s disqualification from an ongoing tournament. This time, however, Epic has disqualified numerous pros before the start of the event on Day 1 of the FNCS Global Championship 2023. This resulted in the community growing furious and here’s how they reacted. Fortnite disqualifies multiple pros on FNCS Global Championship Day 1 According to the Fortnite Comp Report, Oceania’s Jace and Repulse have been disqualified from the FNCS Global Championship 2023. This was allegedly the result of a rumor that Repulse sold his account to a cheater and went on to win this year’s FNCS Majors. Other sources, such as Jake Lucky, assert that this is the primary reason for Jace and Repulse’s disqualification. In addition, the North American team Bucke and Okis was disqualified just a few hours prior to the beginning of Day 1 of the tournament. While the reason for this is presently unknown, Bucke announced the news on their X account and urged their fans to petition Epic to allow them to compete in the tournament now that they have arrived at the venue. One such fan said, “Just don’t leave until you get an answer”. Another one chimed in, “If you’re getting kicked out the country it must be above Epic but still”. While Epic is yet to formally comment on these mysterious disqualifications, you can check out our full coverage of the FNCS Global Championship 2023 right here.

Multiple Skeet Shooting Mini-Games Found Across the Fortnite Map – Dexerto
Multiple Skeet Shooting Mini-Games Found Across the Fortnite Map zTryce / RedditFortnite Battle Royale players have found numerous skeet shooting mini-games across the map since the release of the V5.10 patch. It’s currently uncertain what the purpose of these new additions is, but it seems likely that they will be used for a future challenge. The skeet shooting locations need to be manually activated and keep score for two players in a similar way to the various football pitches that can also be found around the map. The machines launch clay targets and can be shot. One of the first locations to be discovered is to the south of Haunted Hills and was shared by Prohawk on Reddit: Prohawk’s video shows the game in action, with other Reddit users saying noting that it will be particularly fun to play in Playground Mode, which is due to return to the game on July 25. zTryce shared another location which is on the outskirts of Loot Lake. Another user, BasicDescription, claims to have found one near Paradise Park but has not specified where. @gnarvan_ on Twitter has also discovered a location for one of the games next to Lonely Lodge and various reports suggest that one has been found near Tomato Town. Stay tuned for more information about the skeet shooting as it becomes available and don’t be surprised to see a “play skeet shooting at different destinations” challenge in the very near future.

MrSavageM reveals new Fortnite squad with FNCS winner – Dexerto
MrSavageM reveals new Fortnite squad with FNCS winner Renowned Fortnite star Martin ‘MrSavageM’ Foss Andersen has revealed his squad for the Season 11 Fortnite Championship Series, and it features an FNCS winner playing alongside him. MrSavage became popular on Twitch and in pro circles, thanks to his high-energy, aggressive playstyle and in-game knowledge, often teaming alongside players such as FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, becoming a dominant force in the European region. The Norwegian currently plays for NRG Esports, who also house popular Fortnite players such as Williams ‘Zayt’ Aubin, Benjy ‘benjyfishy’ Fish and Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier. Since the age limit for official Fortnite tournaments was dropped to 13 ahead of the Fortnite World Cup, Savage has become a sought-after teammate that can always be found amongst the top players in the lobby. Today, Friday, October 4, MrSavage has revealed who his squad will be for the upcoming Season 11 FNCS, and they’re looking dangerous. The main name to look out for is Thomas ‘Tschinken’ Hörak, one of the winners of the Season X FNCS. Alongside long-term duo Stompy and Fortnite World Cup winner Aqua, Tschiiinken regularly secured top placements in qualifying weeks before winning the top prize of the $1.2 million prize pool in the grand finals. Can’t wait to place so consistent with these gods . @Tschiiinken . @G2Tohaj . @bestlassieu . pic.twitter.com/TA9BEzgF0s — MrSavage | code 200IQ (@MrSavage) October 4, 2019 Alongside Tschiiinken and MrSavage are the lesser-known Kevin “Tohaj” Batic and Lassi “BELAEU” Kallio. Though they may not be as well-known as their teammates, they’re certainly not names to scoff at: they placed fourth at FNCS alongside teammate Konsta “Kaxie” Kauppinen, higher even than Savage himself who finished in seventh. Most players are starting to finalize their squads now – only a couple of weeks ago, Mongraal confirmed his four-man squad, featuring World Cup and FNCS winners. Expect to see these two squads battling it out amongst the best by the time the tournament rolls around. Exact dates for Season 11 FNCS are yet to be announced, but with Season X ending so soon, we might not have to wait long to hear more.

Mother Demands Fortnite Call Her to “Make a Deal”, After Her Son Uses Bible Verse to Ask Her to Buy Skins – Dexerto
Mother Demands Fortnite Call Her to “Make a Deal”, After Her Son Uses Bible Verse to Ask Her to Buy Skins Mother of Fortnite-crazy child has released a video demanding Fortnite creators to call her and ‘make a deal’, because her son is ‘addicted’ to buying skins and emotes in the game. Fortnite is an entirely free-to-play game, but makes hundreds of millions of dollars each month from the in-game items store, which includes character skins, emotes, and other character customization. Developers Epic Games make the items more desirable by having them available for only a day at a time, with no way of knowing when a specific item will appear back in the store. It is a lucrative method, and also one that many gamers favor over the fairly unethical ‘loot box’ system seen in many other popular games, but one parent is very unhappy with Fortnite’s monetization. Posting on YouTube, she demands Epic calls her, as her son is coming to her everyday asking for more money to purchase skins. “Whoever created Fortnite, I need you to know what you are doing to parents across the globe. Because your game has completely taken over, and our children have become total addicts. [My] child is continuously coming to ask me, for money, to buy virtual products in your game. Then he says to me ‘Well, mom, there’s only thirteen hours left or I’m not going to able to buy this skin, I have to do it now.’ He looked at me and said ‘Mom, remember when we were in church last week, and the man was asking for bread because he needed to be fed, and Jesus said all you need to do is ask and you shall receive’. He is trying to use bible verses to get me to buy Fortnite skins.” She goes on to say that the Fortnite creators must call her to make a deal because it is driving her and other parents crazy. “This ‘Fortnite’, we gotta do something, we gotta make a deal. I know it’s not going to go away, but somebody from over there, call me. We gotta make a deal.” From Epic Games point of view, they are probably receiving messages of a similar vein from disgruntled parents every day. But, considering they raked in over $300 million in May, we doubt they have any plans to change their model currently.

MrBeast meme becomes reality in Fortnite Zany Emote collab Freshy KanalMrBeast returns to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 1 during Winterfest 2023, however fans of YouTube’s biggest creator soon spotted Epic Games has referenced the Fake MrBeast meme with the Zany Emote. So far, we have seen the likes of the Walking Dead, Jujutsu Kaisen, Rick and Morty, Terminator and more re-enter the Item Shop. Now, YouTube’s biggest creator MrBeast has came back to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 1, and fans soon pointed out that the Fake MrBeast meme has been referenced in his collab with the classic Zany Emote. MrBeast Zany meme added to Fortnite collab as Emote Fortnite’s Item Shop has been once again updated to include a new MrBeast collection for a limited time. It features the return of the MrBeast Bundle, which first featured in the Battle Royale as part of Chapter 4 Season 1, on December 15, 2022. However, also included in the YouTuber’s collab is the addition of the Zany Emote, which is a reference to the viral Fake MrBeast meme. The meme spawned in 2022 from a parody rap battle video by Freshy Kanal, which saw a comedian mimicking MrBeast and his stereotypical YouTube persona from his videos. The Zany Emote is seen as a direct reference by Epic Games towards this. Similarities have been drawn when performing the Emote, which reflects MrBeast’s hand movements and facial expressions. Most Overpowered Way to Use the New Heavy Sniper Rifle in Fortnite – Dexerto
Most Overpowered Way to Use the New Heavy Sniper Rifle in Fortnite The new Heavy Sniper Rifle was released in Fortnite on August 15 as part of the v5.21 Update and is available in both Epic and Legendary variants. Players have already begun experimenting with the weapon, looking for the best ways and situations it can be used to achieve its maximum potential. One of the early popular trends with this new sniper rifle is to carry two of them at the same time, allowing the player to switch between them when firing. Reddit user ‘D96T’ has posted a video demonstrating how powerful this method can prove to be. The damage statistics for the Heavy Sniper are quite strong, as it delivers considerable damage to both players (150/157) and structures (1050/1100). The only true limit to the weapon is that it has a significantly longer reload time than other sniper rifles, which is basically overcome with the “double Heavy Sniper” technique that is displayed in the clip above. Another Reddit user, named ‘cawhep’ also caught on to this method, using it to quickly double sniper an opponent and capture Victory Royale. Once more players begin catching on to this method, it has the potential to develop into an overpowered and vastly used meta. However, the weapon is still brand new in Fortnite, and Epic Games can certainly implement changes to it that can limit this sort of thing, such as an increased weapon pullout time and even a shot delay like the one that exists when switching between shotguns.

More Marvel skins leaked ahead of Fortnite Season 4 – Dexerto
More Marvel skins leaked ahead of Fortnite Season 4 Epic Games[jwplayer V1LKeZSw]A handful of Fortnite leakers have claimed that there are even more Marvel skins in the works for Season 4 – including Groot and Storm. With Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 drawing to a close, data miners managed to get their hands on some details about an end of season event. All signs pointed to Thor making an appearance to Season 4, however, the Asgardian is set to take the spotlight. After the leak pointed to Marvel’s inclusion in Season 4, Epic Games confirmed that the whole season would revolve around the comic book giants. With a plethora of characters in their back pocket to be used as skins or even in-game enemies, the possibilities are pretty much endless for the battle royale devs. Though, it appears as if they’ve already decided on a few choices. According to reliable leaker HYPEX, Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joining Thor and Wolverine once Season 4 gets underway as a part of the battle pass. Though, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to hop around looking like Groot from the popular movie franchise. Instead, according to YouTuber Tabor Hill, the Season 4 skins will take their comic book form rather than how they look in action movies. On top of that, the YouTuber also noted that Storm from X-Men would be a new skin in Season 4. She would join Wolverine as the X-Men representatives in the new Fortnite season. According to @StonewallTabor, The season is gonna be Marvel themed (as i said) but its gonna be the Comic version of characters, not realistic ones. also we will get a “”Storm”” from X-Men skin! pic.twitter.com/Cdb7jIwI0x — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 21, 2020 As well as those two skins, some fans have suggested that Iron Man and Dr Doom could also play a role in the new season after Donald Mustard, Epic’s worldwide creative director, started dropping hints on his Twitter account. Whether or not that’ll happen very much remains to be seen, but, given there’s not all that long to go until Chapter 2, Season 4 gets underway, the wait shouldn’t be all that arduous.

More Massive Cracks Are Appearing in the Fortnite Battle Royale Sky – Dexerto
More Massive Cracks Are Appearing in the Fortnite Battle Royale Sky It’s beginning to look more and more like the Fortnite Battle Royale map is going to face major destruction as another large crack has appeared in the sky. With Season 5 due to begin on July 12th, Epic Games is teasing the Fortnite community with mysterious cracks, portals, and rifts appearing all over the map after June 30th’s rocket launch. It’s beginning to look ever more likely that the map will take some serious damage and change significantly as the portals are beginning to eat away at some areas of the map and the crack in the sky is growing at a rate of knots. The first portal, or rift, was found in Lonely Lodge and it quickly ate away at the “Lonely Lodge” sign. Next came the Motel, and its sign, and now a new portal looks poised to give Tomato Town the same treatment. More customization options could be coming soon to Playground mode in Fortnite – Dexerto
More customization options could be coming soon to Playground mode in Fortnite The Playground mode in Fortnite Battle Royale may soon receive a brand new set of customization options for players to take advantage of. New information leaked from certain game files by data miners at @FNBRLeaks indicate that a series of new customization options could be coming to the popular mode sometime in the future. According to the leaks, Epic Games are looking to add custom options for gravity, ammo, building resources, and item spawns. The list of projected Playground customizations can be seen below, based on the information that was leaked. Gravity Multiplier – This feature would allow players to modify how strong or weak the force of gravity on the map would be. The default gravity setting would likely be on Medium Planet. Small Planet – Medium Planet – Large Planet – Medium Moon – Large Moon – Asteroid – – Infinite Ammo – This option is likely a simple on/off switch which allows the player to have infinite ammunition for any equipped weapon. – Infinite Building Resources – This option is likely a simple on/off switch which allows the player to have infinite building resources such as Wood, Brick, and Metal. – Spawn Item – This is likely a option which would allow the player to spawn any item of their choice at any given time. – Respawn Location – This option would likely allow the player to choose where they want to respawn over the Fortnite map. – Warmup time – Players would likely be able to use this option to regulate how much time is allotted to warming up. – All of the information presented above comes in addition to leaks from several weeks ago, which hinted at further new options being added to Playground such as friendly fire toggle, custom loot levels, movement speed multiplier, and damage multiplier. Furthermore, all of this comes after Epic had already recently made considerable changes to Playground in the v6.01 update, adding custom options to regulate time of day, starting health, fall damage, starting shields, and more. That could suggest that all of these new leaked changes may not be added to the game anytime soon, although the next major update to Playground should be a massive one. However, since none of these customization options have been formally announced or confirmed by Epic, this information should be considered as nothing more than speculation, and may not even ever be added into Fortnite.

Monsters Inc themed Fortnite skin leaked for upcoming Area 51 raid – Dexerto
Monsters Inc themed Fortnite skin leaked for upcoming Area 51 raid Disney / Paul Filmer / Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale dataminer ‘s1l0x’ has uncovered a new skin today which pays homage to the Area 51 raid while also looking suspiciously like Monsters Inc character Mike Wazowski. The Area 51 raid meme has been circulating the internet over the last few months. Millions of people signed up to the Facebook event titled “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” with the intention of finding the aliens the US government has been storing away from humanity. With the raid date of September 20 on the horizon, Epic Games has seemingly added an Alien skin to Fortnite to pay respects to the meme. There’s more to the skin than just Area 51 though, with the cosmetic looking suspiciously like Monsters Inc fan-favorite Mike Wazowski. Popular dataminer s1l0x discovered the skin on September 17, tweeting it out with the caption “Encrypted Traveler Pickaxe”. While it looked like he was trying to show off the UFO-looking pickaxe, most players were enamoured by the skin he had equipped at the time. The alien is also wearing what looks like an ankle bracelet on the left leg, possibly indicating that they escaped the high-security area. Encrypted “”Traveler”” Pickaxe! Players have drawn many comparisons to Monsters Inc’s Mike Wazowski and the traveler skin. The Fortnite creature has one big eye in the middle of his head, a massive mouth, and horns for hair. Read more: Fortnite Twitch viewership on decline – While Mike Wazowski doesn’t have the horns, nor a human-like body, the eye and mouth combination was enough to raise eyebrows. The combination of the Area 51 meme and the almost dead-on Monsters Inc reference has got everyone excited for the release of the items. It’s a tribute to a lot of player’s childhoods, who probably grew up watching the 2001 Pixar classic. Whether this might open the door for more Monsters Inc related skins in the future is unclear, but running around Fortnite rocking a James P. Sullivan suit, or even a Roz skin, sounds like a nostalgia trip waiting to happen. There’s no confirmed release date for the Traveler outfit skin and pickaxe combo, but expect it to be soon with the Area 51 raid coming up in a matter of days.

‘Moonlight’ LTM Concept Turns the Fortnite Map Completely Dark With Some Awesome Features – Dexerto
‘Moonlight’ LTM Concept Turns the Fortnite Map Completely Dark With Some Awesome Features A Reddit user has created a ‘Moonlight’ Limited Time Mode concept for Fortnite: Battle Royale which involves the map being plummeted into darkness. Limited Time Modes in Fortnite have gained a substantial amount of notoriety in recent months for their ability to bring something ‘fresh’ to the title, with the modes allowing players to experience the game in a collection of new ways. Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, has continuously attempted to design LTM’s that will put a spin on the title, and stray away from the typical playlists of Solos, Duos, and Squads in order to test potential future additions. More: Jetpacks and High Explosives Combine in Leaked “Fly Explosives” Limited Time Mode for Fortnite – The developer has always taken feedback from community members incredibly seriously since Fortnite’s release in 2017 on platforms such as Twitter and Reddit, including possible ideas for new LTM’s and other new content. A Reddit user by the name of FLcitizen has created a new LTM concept titled ‘PUBG Has Dropped The Lawsuit Against Epic Games and Fortnite Players will be given headlamps and thermal weapons so they can navigate through the darkness, however, if caught in the storm, headlamps will no longer work and players will only be able to rely on the mini-map for direction. A full list of the rules can be found below, along with the original LTM-concept poster. All scoped weapons will be thermal – At the moment, the only weapon that is thermal is the Scoped Assault Rifle, which has been added to Fortnite Battle Royale quite recently. The other Scoped weapons in the game at the moment are the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle and the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, which currently have no thermal attachment. – Head Lamps – players will be able to turn these on/off and will be necessary as some areas of the map will be pitch black, even in buildings. The Head Lamps will light up an area around the players so they will be able to navigate around the map. – The map will also be black, except for the area in which players are located. You will only be able to see the storm circle if it is close on the map. – It has also been suggested that the headlamps will stop working if players are lost to the storm, but you will still be able to see your position on the map. –

MonsterDface suggests how to reduce randomness and ‘RNG’ in Fortnite’s Arena mode – Dexerto
MonsterDface suggests how to reduce randomness and ‘RNG’ in Fortnite’s Arena mode Popular commentator and streamer, MonsterDface, believes that Fortnite’s new arena mode needs more work in order to truly be competitive following the release of v8.20. The latest Fortnite patch caused controversy among the community after it was revealed that the popular siphon mechanic would be removed from all default playlists as Epic Games believed it caused ‘unhealthy aggression’. Nevertheless, the settings would still be present in the new arena mode – a ranked playlist which matches players depending on their skill level and accrued points. With the competitive community being vocal in support for a ranked move for a while, the move has been well received by the majority of top players who will fight for the chance to compete at the upcoming Fortnite World Cup. However, MonsterDface – who regularly casts the Fortnite tournaments – believes that more needs to be done to improve the competitive integrity of the game and to stop pro players from complaining. “The competitive mode should be structured a certain way,” he said. “In the competitive mode, there could be no vehicles, pre-determined loadouts, 100% chest spawns and players could land with shield.” While he admitted that he felt the default playlists should also have siphon settings as well, he suggested that lowering RNG in the arena mode would also stop players making excuses about bad loot or poor drops. “To reduce RNG, comp should have 100% and players should spawn in with an AR, pump, SMG and 50 shield. That way, players won’t be able say ‘I landed late or I didn’t get a pump’” he explained. “Shut up! How about we give you everything you need and watch you still die. Because you ain’t going to beat Bizzle in a 1v1 – period!” Reducing RNG would be a move that competitive community would definitely get behind and help Epic Games legitimize their game as an esport.
