Mongraal’s Fortnite coach responds to FNCS stream sniping allegations FaZe ClanFaZe Clan Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal‘ Jackson’s coach DestinysJesus responded to the stream sniping allegations during the recently-concluded Fortnite Champion Series competition of Chapter 2. Fresh off his second-place finish in the EU region of the Squads FNCS, Mongraal’s coach addressed the allegations that arose from an exclusive Dexerto report in late November. The report contained video evidence of DestinysJesus allegedly feeding Mongraal information about other players by watching their streams, an act commonly referred to as stream sniping. In the video clip obtained by Dexerto, you can see Mongraal moving towards his landing spot while another voice gives him information about the teams around him. According to the coach, however, Epic Games took notice following the community’s outrage and conducted an investigation, which yielded no incriminating evidence. “Also for everyone likely to respond with streamsniping jokes last week’s finals was investigated properly with no action taken and this final was fully recorded from everyone’s POV,” he tweeted. Also for everyone likely to respond with streamsniping jokes last weeks finals was investigated properly with no action taken and this finals was fully recorded from everyones POV. Onto NAE with 3 FaZe squads competing 🥳 — Destiny (@DestinysJesus) December 8, 2019 This is far from the first time Fortnite esports has been in the spotlight for a negative reason, with the major one being pros Ronaldo and XXiF receiving two-week bans after being caught teaming. That banning was heavily criticized by the community as Epic still allowed to the two players to compete in qualification towards the World Cup, with XXiF even getting a spot. According to the Fortnite Champion Series rulebook published by Epic Games, receiving any sort of outside help is against the rules, which would presumably include coaches as well. “Receiving outside assistance regarding the location of other players, other players’ health or equipment, or any other information not otherwise known to the player by the information on his or her screen.” It’s unclear what took place during the investigation by Epic Games but it’s possible they deemed help from a coach to be perfectly okay. None of Mongraal’s squad – Benjyfishy, Nayte, and Wolfiez – addressed the allegations in any way. In fact, DestinysJesus’ tweet was the first mention of it from anyone involved, and it came after the FNCS had already wrapped up. With the investigation now in the past, we can only hope Epic Games comes forward with a definitive ruling on whether or not coaches are allowed to give information to their players.

MonsterDFace breaks down HighDistortion’s incredible high kill games in Fortnite – Dexerto
MonsterDFace breaks down HighDistortion’s incredible high kill games in Fortnite HighDistortion / Epic GamesTeam SoloMid’s Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno went on an insane run in Fortnite to become the first player to reach the 100,000 elimination mark against Ninja, and YouTuber MonsterDface took a look at how the HD manages to rack up insane amounts of kills in his games. In his video, MonsterDFace broke down everything from HighDistortion’s movements, choices in landing spots, playstyle and more that contributes to the high kill counts he seems to get every single match. Fortnite is a game about resources, and MonsterDFace noticed that HighDistortion uses a mix of minimal equipment and pure confidence to push opponent’s at the opportune moments. Right when he drops, HighDistortion makes sure to have a two weapons to switch between to instantly become hyper aggressive in order to catch players off guard. After his initial engagements, HD tends to make quick rotations around nearby buildings and points of interest to continually dictate the pace of his play. In the mid game, HD’s uses the game’s natural mobility features such as Rifts, Ziplines, and more to rapidly make his way through high-traffic POIs. These strategies allow HD to dominate Solo Squad games. He takes control of late-game engagements by carrying loadouts consisting of Rocket Launchers and other disruptors to close things out. MonsterDFace also pointed out HD’s ability to split aggro while applying pressure as he maintains the high ground in build battles, giving him the best chance of cleaning up squads in disarray. HighDistortion utilizes many techniques to keep his kill count risin which players can practice in their games to improve in Fortnite.

Among the names that qualified were former FNCS champions, veteran competitors, and popular streamers alike. Only one Trio could come away with the lion’s share of $380,000, however. Unlike previous weeks, the six Grand Final lobbies went back and forth. There was no clearcut leader until the latter stages of the event. In fact, the top five teams all fell within 50 points of each other. It was none other than Reverse2K, Mero, and Deyy who closed out the show in the end. While they didn’t close out a single map win in the event, their point total was astounding thanks to 72 total eliminations. FNCS Chapter 2 Season 4 NA East results – Grand Finals FNCS Chapter 2 Season 4 NA West recap – Grand Finals Yet again, NA West was absolutely dominated by one Trio in particular. In Week Two they finished in third place overall. This time around, they won it all. The Trio put up 66 eliminations but this was overshadowed by their insane win-rate. Together, they won three of the six lobbies during the Grand Finals to take out the first-place prize. Mongraal furious over exploit for easy matches in Fortnite Winter Royale – Dexerto
Mongraal furious over exploit for easy matches in Fortnite Winter Royale FaZe Clan’s professional Fortnite player Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson has lashed out at fellow pro players over their alleged abuse of a ‘0 point lobby’ glitch in the recent Winter Royale event. Mongraal may only be 15 years old, but the British teenager has already established himself as one of the best Fortnite players in the world. He regularly stuns fans with his incredible talents over on Twitch, where he has amassed nearly 2 million followers. On December 23 he posted a furious tweet, following rumors that a number of professional players had abused a zero-point glitch during the Winter Royale. The bug, which was allegedly abused during the most recent Fortnite Winter Royale tournament, enabled players to manipulate their matchmaking in order to pair them with less-skilled opponents. According to members of the Fortnite community, the glitch was performed by changing region after completing a game. This then manipulates the game into thinking the player has 0 points. The region is then changed back, and players are placed in lobbies against others who have actually amassed a low points total. “F*cking knew kids were abusing this bug,” he tweeted. “You dogsh*t players I’m blocking all of you. So dogsh*t.” if there is a way to know if they intentionally did it i pray they get banned — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) December 23, 2019 While it is widely believed to have occurred to a number of pros, it is not clear whether some were intentionally abusing it or if the game was bugging out. Fellow British Fortnite pro ‘benjyfishy’ asked if there is a way to clarify whether it was deliberately exploited. If it was, he said he “prays they get banned.” The recent Winter Royale saw a number of lesser-known pros place incredibly well, fuelling speculation that there was foul play involved. However, it would be unfair to discredit any lesser-known pro placing well on the basis that a minority may have exploited a glitch. It’s important to remember that, at the time of writing, it is not clear which pros are accused of using the glitch, and whether they did so with the intention of being placed in easier lobbies. Furthermore, as of the publication of this article, developers Epic Games have not issued a response or punishment to any Fortnite professionals. We will update you on this story where necessary.

Mongraal kicked from FNCS match after bizarre Fortnite vault bug – Dexerto
Mongraal kicked from FNCS match after bizarre Fortnite vault bug Epic GamesFaZe Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson was left stunned after he was removed from an FNCS Week 2 session for an unusual bug with the Stark Industries vault. With the FNCS starting to ramp up again for the Season 4 finals, many of the top players will be looking to battle it out and qualify for the Fortnite playoffs on October 29. FaZe Clan star Mongraal is regularly seen near the top in the FNCS’ European events, but while competing in the second week of the Season 4 tournament, the Fornite pro was surprisingly removed from one of the games. After dropping into the first match of the FNCS Week 2 Trios session, Mongraal, along with teammates Mitr0 and Tayson, landed at the Stark Industries POI to kick off the game. The new Marvel point-of-interest, which was added in Season 4, features one of the few vaults on the map and can be a great place to pick up some early loot, if it is not contested by another team. However, after killing the Iron Man boss and grabbing the keycard, Mongraal was surprisingly kicked from the game when trying to open up the vault door. “I just got kicked, no!” he reacted, realizing that his chances of picking up points in the tournament, and earning a good placing, had become even more difficult. While the Fortnite error code did not give an exact reason why he was removed from the match, he claimed that it was likely due to him meleeing the Vault, “It’s because I was spamming the door.” As players have come up with some unusual ways to glitch in and out of the vault without keycards, it is possible that Epic Games could have set up countermeasures to prevent players from cheating in competitive playlists, like the FNCS sessions, and it may have been triggered by him rushing to get in the door. Despite being kicked from the first game, Mongraal was not banned from the FNCS event and was able to rejoin his teammates in the second match to continue their tournament run.

Mongraal, Benjyfishy, more slam Fortnite Winter Royale prizing – Dexerto
Mongraal, Benjyfishy, more slam Fortnite Winter Royale prizing The $15 million Fortnite Winter Royale has helped fill the post-FNCS competitive void, but pro players like FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson and NRG’s Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish aren’t impressed with the prize pool split. The Fortnite Winter Royale in 2019 is an early birthday present for players of the popular battle royale. With a $15 million prize pool split across the world, duos will have three days to grind to the top and earn a bit of Christmas cheer. However, some pros have raised complaints about how the tournament is formatted, and how thin the prize pool is spread. Players like Mongraal and Benjyfishy have spoken out against the thin prize pools, saying that the three-day tournament is a let down compared to previous events. Each platform is expected to get similar prize pools for each day across the weekend, but Mongraal questioned why that’s happening at all. “There is a prize pool for every region, every platform, top 500 to top 1000, and console has the same prize pool as PC,” he said. Given the fact that there’s plenty of competitive regions and platforms, the $15 million set aside for the tournament will dry up pretty quick, leaving some players at the top with very little to show for their efforts. there is prize pool for every region, every platform, top 500 – top 1000 and console have the same prize pool as pc, fucking pray we get a duo fncs… — Mongraal (@Mongraal) December 9, 2019 Fortnite World Cup duos champion David ‘Aqua‘ Wang zeroed in on the fact that “EU mobile gets more for first than NA-West PC players get,” even though PC has been the official competitive mode throughout the game’s history. Benjyfishy also highlighted how thin the prize pool is, showing that the winners of the Winter Royale Day 1 receive $9,000, a far cry from the hundreds of thousands that have previously been on offer. He also criticized Epic for giving console and PC players the same prize pool, even though he believes PC is the more competitive platform. wait why does pc have same prize money as xbox/ps4? what the actual fuck bro????????? pic.twitter.com/PZCcgRt24K — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) December 9, 2019 console players are no where near as competitive as people on pc, its just impossible to be as good on 60 fps and max settings, pc should be getting more money — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) December 9, 2019 “Console players are nowhere near as competitive as people on PC,” he said. “It’s just impossible to be as good on 60 FPS and max settings. PC should be getting more money.” The $15 million Fortnite Winter Royale will be running on across December 20 to 22, with prizes given to the best 1000 players on each platform on each day. Mongraal offers far-fetched explanation why some Fortnite skins seem “faster” – Dexerto
Mongraal offers far-fetched explanation why some Fortnite skins seem “faster” FaZe Clan Fortnite Battle Royale pro Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson has offered an explanation to why sometimes the simple things in Fortnite are the best, describing the new Cozy Command set as “faster” than other skins. Fortnite’s Christmas content has got players in a spin, with plenty of new cosmetics to grab with their gifted V-Bucks from Santa. One such skin line is the simple Cozy Command set, which features four female characters decked out in comfy Christmas-themed pyjamas. Players have praised the skins for being better than some of the game’s more complicated offerings, including the likes of ‘Dakotaz,’ who ended up posing the question “why are the simple skins in Fortnite always the best ones” to his community. https://twitter.com/dakotaz/status/1209628167465525248 The “yung scientist” Mongraal didn’t take long to get back to Dakotaz though, with an explanation full of hard logic, facts, and science. “The equilateral symterial [sic] simplicity of the skin allows [our] brain to process movements and actions quicker due to the skin being simpler and easier for the brain to process, which therefore gives us a placebo of the skin being so called “faster” than others,” he said. Other players offered some different solutions to the same question, without as much investigative depth as Mongraal. “The detailed skins are always expensive and too much detail makes things look ugly,” said OminousFN_. Some were a bit more cynical, saying that simple skins are easy to play with. “The simple skins are the best because you can see around without a field-of-view slider,” said ‘CATSUP’. https://twitter.com/OminousFN_/status/1209628389323214849 https://twitter.com/CATSUPon144hz/status/1209630829372203009 While the Cozy Command set has been a hit with players, one thing that is missing is a male skin, disappointing some players. “I wish there were male ones,” said ‘fancylevi’. “I would love a Jonesy or Spitfire one.” https://twitter.com/fancylevi/status/1209630566016061440 No matter what you think of Mongraal’s explanation, the consensus is that the Cozy Command set is one of the best in recent Fortnite history. It’s a Christmas exclusive, so be sure to get in with your V-Bucks soon to pick them up before they disappear.

Much of the Fortnite community’s attention has turned to trios of late, as Fortnite’s Champion Series offers consistently high prize money for successful placements. Mongraal, benjyfishy and Mitr0 are three of the world’s top players in their own right; all three featured at July’s World Cup. Mongraal and Mitr0 featured as a duo at the World Cup and placed sixth overall. Add benjyfishy into the mix, and it’s no surprise that they’re pulling off crazy wins. The trio were playing in a qualifying match for the most recent Champion Series, the finals of which take place at the end of Season X. The prize pool is a whopping $10 million. Read More: Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite – The trio kick off the game by landing at Retail Row, which recently returned in place of the outgoing Mega Mall. It is a popular place for professional players to land as the zombie spawns provide the opportunity to find some top-tier loot. The EU trio then rotate from Retail towards the center of the map as dictated by zone. They pick up multiple kills en route and around Salty Springs. After their success in Salty, Mongraal suggests they split up to maximize their number of kills. The game concludes just north-west of Tilted with an incredible ending in which Mongraal picks up 6 kills in less than a minute. Mongraal announces new Fortnite squad with World Cup Winner – Dexerto
Mongraal announces new Fortnite squad with World Cup Winner L: FaZe Clan (Facebook)/R: Eric Ananmalay (ESPAT Media)FaZe Clan Fortnite sensation, Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, has revealed his teammates ahead of next season’s Fortnite Championship series, with World Cup winner David ‘Aqua’ Wang set to join the roster. Following the announcement that the standard trios format will be removed from competitive play moving into Season 11, Epic Games revealed the new four-man squad composition coming to the Fortnite Championship Series. Subsequently, trios have been advised to promptly find a fourth member should they wish to compete in next season’s competitive series. On the flip side of the coin, existing squads with a duo core may be seek to join forces with another duo, in a bid to seamlessly merge into the four-man format. An immediate shuffle materialized following the Fortnite World Cup, with perhaps the most shocking announcement coming when duo champs, Emil ‘nyhrox’ Bergquist Pedersen and Austrian-native Aqua split, with the Austrian joining forces with fellow countrymen Thomas ‘Tschinken’ Hörak and Klaus ‘Stompy’ Konstanzer. Amid the ‘rostermania’ that ensued, Mongraal has parted ways with long-time partner, Dmitri ‘mitr0’ Van de Vrie, following their 6th place finish at the Fortnite World Cup and a mixed bag of placements with Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ David Fish in trios. Thus, leaving the British pair and Austrian trio with a dilemma of who to cut ahead of the forthcoming format change. .@Mongraal x @benjyfishy x @stompybtw x @aquaa pic.twitter.com/LlBPHsF18D — mongraal (@Mongraal) September 23, 2019 Indeed, it is Tschinken who has been dropped from the roster, meaning that both duos have joined forces in a bid to dominate during next season’s Fortnite Championship Series. Aside from the cut-throat nature of the decision, Jackson took to Twitter to state that “there is no bad blood, no hate between anyone at all. We all felt this was right for us…” before going on to say: “Trust me, I wouldn’t leave mitr0 in a bad position — he will have a god squad.” There is no bad blood, no hate between anyone at all. We all felt this was right for us and trust me, I wouldn’t leave mitr0 in a bad position – he will have a god squad. — mongraal (@Mongraal) September 23, 2019 Evidently, the squad will pose a threat, with Benjy, Stompy and Mongraal all placing within the top 25 at the Fortnite World Cup: Solos event, and Aqua notoriously being crowned Duos champion. All that remains to be seen is where exactly Tschinken and mitr0 end up once the dust has settled.

Fortnite pro FaZe Mongraal appears to stream snipe via coach during FNCS – Dexerto
Fortnite pro FaZe Mongraal appears to stream snipe via coach during FNCS After concerns were raised about alleged stream sniping by a coach at a competitive Fortnite event on the November 24 weekend, Dexerto has come across exclusive footage of what appears to be FaZe Fortnite star Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson receiving information from his coach during a competitive match. Stream sniping is a common occurrence when battle royale games are streamed online. Most commonly, it affects popular streamers, who have resorted to using tricks like hiding their user name on stream or using a stream delay. Pro player Bloodx went on Twitter on Monday, November 25, to allege that pro players had “coaches” on their call during matches in the week 4 European semi-finals of the Fortnite Champion Series, looking at the streams of other teams and calling out their locations to their players. To put it bluntly, he alleges they were stream sniping and asks if this is considered cheating. **ATTENTION** Is it okey to have people IN YOUR CALL MID-TOURNY having your “”coach”” call out where teams land, based off of what he sees on OTHER streams? AKA STREAMSNIPING for your team. PLEASE voice your opinions, i know what my opinion is. @LRojo__ & others, is this ok? — Bloodx (@BloodxEU) November 26, 2019 Bloodx followed up his initial accusation by saying, “this is just something that isn’t f*****g right. No matter to what extent it’s done.” Many fans and players responded that not only was the alleged stream-sniping considered cheating, but pro players shouldn’t have coaches on their call during a match, to begin with. This is a similar rule in other competitive titles like LoL and CSGO, where coaches can only talk to their players during timeouts and between matches. After some investigation, Dexerto has acquired a clip from an anonymous source, potentially showing Mongraal and his teammates getting information from coach DestinysJesus. The exchange between Mongraal and DestinysJesus comes after Mongraal exclaims that his team was “griefing” the other squad. “They’re a different team,” DestinysJesus says. “Are they contested, Destiny?” replies Mongraal. “They’re [not?] contested, they went Pleasant.” “They went Pleasant?” The audio is a bit hard to hear, but this clip allegedly comes from a Mongraal YouTube upload that has since been deleted and re-uploaded. This clip allegedly has been cut from it. The anonymous source who provided the clip also alleges that DestinysJesus was spotted in the chat of one of the streams he was allegedly sniping. As of now, there is no clip or evidence to verify this claim. DestinysJesus joined FaZe as a Fortnite coach this month. Around the time the discussion appeared on Twitter and Reddit, Mongraal’s video editor shared a vague tweet, saying, “everything happens for a reason, can only stay hopeful at this point.” https://twitter.com/Pulsve/status/1199491895329771520 The match where the alleged incident took place wasn’t live-streamed by Mongraal or any of the teammates he was competing with. All the members of his squad, NRG BenjyFishy, Nayte, and Lazarus Wolfiez, frequently stream their competitive events. Mongraal was signed to FaZe Clan before the Fortnite World Cup in July, in a transfer from Team Secret. #Fortnite: Announcing the transfer of Fortnite Professional player Kyle “”Mongraal”” Jackson from @teamsecret to @FaZeClan.@Mongraal will compete with FaZe Clan at the upcoming Fortnite World Cup from July 27th-28th, where he is qualified in both the Solo & Duo events.#FaZeUp — FaZe Esports (@FaZeEsports) July 7, 2019 He finished 13th in the Solo Finals at FWC, and sixth in Duos alongside Mitr0, who was playing for Team Atlantis. He’s come in first in several events since the World Cup, alongside Mitr0 and benjyfishy. In the Competitive Integrity section of the Fortnite Champion Series rulebook published by Epic Games, it explicitly forbids: “Receiving outside assistance regarding the location of other players, other players’ health or equipment, or any other information not otherwise known to the player by the information on his or her screen.” The rulebook makes zero mention of coaches at all, so the issue of whether coaches are allowed or when they should be allowed to communicate with their players is still up to debate. Dexerto reached out to Mongraal for comment on the allegations, but he has yet to respond as of press time.

Mongraal and BenjyFishy explain why it’s “easy” to become a Fortnite pro – Dexerto
Mongraal and BenjyFishy explain why it’s “easy” to become a Fortnite pro FaZe Clan member Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson and NRG star Benjy ‘BenjyFishy’ Fish revealed why they think it’s easy to become a professional Fortnite player compared to other top esports. Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the world, so it’s no surprise that players across the globe dream of making it as a professional player. Those who compete at the highest level can earn millions, like Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf who won $3 million at the World Cup. For many, the road to professional play is seemingly impossible, but as competitors who have reached the top of the mountain, Mongraal, BenjyFishy and Martin ‘MrSavage’ Anderson, think it’s easy to make it as a pro. While streaming on January 6, Mongraal, along with his peers, started discussing Fortnite as an esport, and why it’s easier to make it as a pro in it compared to a title like CS:GO. “You don’t need to play scrims to be good,” he said. “Fortnite’s so weird, it’s just unexplainable. In CS:GO, you have to scrim 16 hours a day with your god squad, and you have to have mental coaches.” “It’s the most unprofessional esport ever,” MrSavage said in response. “You can have the worst sleeping schedule, the worst health, and you don’t even have to practice that much if you just practice your mechanics.” BenjyFishy agreed, stating: “I swear it’s so easy to go from being a casual to a pro. Or not a casual, but you can improve so much. I’m not even trolling.” While many likely believe that becoming a pro player is impossible, three of the most recognizable names in Fortnite believe it is as simple as practicing your mechanics, and feel like the transition from casual gamer to professional isn’t a particularly difficult one in Fortnite. All three have competed at the top of Fortnite for some time, with Mongraal finishing in 13th place at the Fortnite World Cup, BenjyFishy in 25th, and MrSavage in 29th when they competed in the solos portion of the massive esports tournament.

Mongraal and Benjyfishy call for traps to be removed from Fortnite – Dexerto
Mongraal and Benjyfishy call for traps to be removed from Fortnite NRG/FaZe/Epic GamesFortnite pros Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson and Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish have called on Epic Games to make a huge change and get rid of the battle royale’s signature traps. Outside of its constant updates, vibrant colors, and huge popularity, the biggest thing that sets Fortnite apart from every other battle royale title is it’s building mechanic. Some of the best players in the world are able to edit and build with ridiculous speed, leading them to getting an advantage over their opponents. However, sometimes they can stumble into already-constructed traps and grab eliminations for those players who have built them. Over time, a selection of traps have been more frustrating to players than others but some pros would rather just see them removed altogether. Following their Cash Cup solo matches from January 16, British players Mongraal and Benjyfishy aired their complaints with the traps on Twitter – even though they did it in slightly different ways. “Like to remove traps and snipers from competitive,” tweeted NRG’s Benjyfishy, polling fans on the possibility of seeing the items taken out. “It’s worse than controller players, not even joking.” like to remove traps and snipers from competitive its worse than controller players not even joking — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) January 16, 2020 Mongraal, however, seemingly turned his anger up to eleven by tweeting in all caps. “I got f**king trapped I hate this game so much so unskillful it makes me f**king vomit,” he posted. Yet, he followed that up with an even bigger barrage text, typing complete gibberish after claiming he was “quitting” until traps had been vaulted. “Never tweeting again, bye, deactivating,” he added. I GOT FUCKING TRAPPED I HATE THIS GAME SO MUCH SO UNSKILLFUL IT MAKES ME FUCKING VOMIT — Mongraal (@Mongraal) January 16, 2020 Seeing as there’s been no indication from Epic as to making such a sweeping change, it appears that the professional pair will have to continue venting their own frustrations. The removal of traps would likely cause annoyance to plenty of other players but a change to their damage values could certainly be something for the developers to consider. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Moisty Mire Chest Locations for the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 4, Week 9 Challenge For newer Fortnite Battle Royale players, finding chests in Moisty Mire for the Week 9 challenge could prove to be difficult. If you’re one of those players, here are all of the possible chest locations. With just two weeks of Season 4 in Fortnite Battle Royale remaining, players don’t have long left if they want to reach Tier 100 and earn all of the cool items that are included in getting there.. As always, the game’s developers have made it so that the challenges for Week 9 range in difficulty, meaning that players of all abilities can complete at least some of them. One of the easier challenges for players of all levels to complete will be to “Search Chests in Moisty Mire.” Fatal Fields is located in the far South West corner of the map and, although large, doesn’t have as many chests as some of the more high traffic areas. MoistCr1TiKaL believes Ariana Grande’s Fortnite concert was “easiest paycheck” ever – Dexerto
MoistCr1TiKaL believes Ariana Grande’s Fortnite concert was “easiest paycheck” ever Fortnite’s Rift Tour event and Ariana Grande concert took place on August 6, with content creator MoistCr1TiKaL saying it was the easiest paycheck of music star’s life. 28-year-old music star Ariana Grande was next to follow in the footsteps of other artists such as Travis Scott and Marshmello to partner up with Fortnite for her own cosmetics and of course, her own in-game concert. The initial concert took place on August 6 and was 12 minutes long, but it was heavily criticized for the length. While 12 minutes might not seem long for a concert, it’s more than the previous concerts Fortnite has held. Despite the criticism with the length, some believe that this concert was the easiest paycheck Ariana Grande has ever received. One content creator who watched the concert was MoistCr1TiKaL. In a video uploaded shortly after the concert, the YouTuber explained how while he was ever so slightly disappointed, the concert was probably the easiest paycheck that the music star has ever gotten in her career. “That had to be the easiest paycheck of her life. ‘Hey, can we call this a concert for you, Ari? We’re just going to use three of your songs for an event in Fortnite? Yeah, that’s fine.’ “It was very pretty, though. I don’t have any complaints about it other than it was literally three songs,” said the content creator. Timestamp 6:38 Fortnite players on social media also chimed in with their thoughts, with what overall seems to be a mixed reaction. https://twitter.com/GokuNoHoes/status/1423771013318275074?s=20 One player on Twitter said the concert was “mid” compared to the previous Travis Scott concert, with another player said the Ariana Grande concert was “so good” It remains to be seen what Epic has up their sleeve next for a live event, but it seems players want it to follow previous events rather than the Grande showing.

MLK’s daughter responds after Fortnite adds “I Have a Dream” speech in game – Dexerto
MLK’s daughter responds after Fortnite adds “I Have a Dream” speech in game YouTube/PlayStationMartin Luther King’s daughter, Bernice King, responded to Fortnite adding her father’s iconic “I have a Dream” speech and other content to the game. On August 26, Fortnite announced the March Through Time event, celebrating the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, JR. “March Through Time will teleport players nearly 60 years in the past to a re-imagined Washington, DC called D.C. 63. Developed by members of the Fortnite Creative community, this fully immersive experience will allow players to witness the Civil Rights teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King,” the event description reads. “The Experience will also feature museum-inspired points of interest and quests you can complete with other players. These quests should bring an important reminder that relates to Dr. King’s speech: We move forward when we work together.” The event has been met with a mixed reaction by fans with some bewildered by the crossover. Seeing as Fortnite normally adds superheroes, movie protagonists, pop stars, and other video game figures to the game, MLK was seen as a bit of an odd choice. That said, it’s not like players can equip an MLK skin and run around the game, but the update does include quests and challenges and a spray for players to unlock. Controversy over the event eventually resulted in The King Center and MLK’s daughter issuing a statement on the in-game content and distancing themselves from it. The King Center does not license Dr. King’s intellectual property, and, therefore, was not involved in any decisions concerning the endeavor with TIME Inc and PlayStation/Fortnite. These licensing decisions are made by Intellectual Properties Management (IPM). #MLK — The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center (@TheKingCenter) August 26, 2021 “The King Center does not license Dr. King’s intellectual property, and, therefore, was not involved in any decisions concerning the endeavor with TIME Inc and PlayStation/Fortnite,” The King Center explained. “These licensing decisions are made by Intellectual Properties Management (IPM).” King’s daughter Bernice also responded to the Fortnite event: “Decisions around licensing my father’s intellectual property are outside of my personal purview,” she said. Decisions around licensing my father’s intellectual property are outside of my personal purview. https://t.co/Qr1iztjG0h — Be A King (@BerniceKing) August 26, 2021 It will be interesting to see what the future holds for events such as this given the general reaction and if Fortnite continues to honor important, influential people in-game going forward.

Mobile Fortnite star crushes his own kill record for Solo vs Squads – Dexerto
Mobile Fortnite star crushes his own kill record for Solo vs Squads There is a new Fortnite Battle Royale world record now in the books, and this one is for most eliminations by a single player in a squads lobby on mobile. Mobile player ‘Flash,’ who is a member of Team Obey’s Fortnite team, has managed to get a whopping 39 eliminations in a single Squads match, setting the new record. He crushed his own world record of 34 eliminations, which he had set a few weeks ago on February 10. To put the cherry on top of his record-breaking performance, Flash also secured the Victory Royale at the end of the match, which is not always a sure thing when it comes to world record games. His statistics from the match are all quite impressive, including the 45% shot accuracy, 130 headshots, and 7,574 total damage dealt to players What may be even more impressive is watching a mobile player perform such advanced in-game building and movement techniques without having the luxury of using a mouse and keyboard or a controller. The video containing the full gameplay from the match can be seen below, and as you’d expect, it’s full of intense and fast-paced Fortnite action. Flash’s new world record comes during a period of time in Fortnite when records are being broken left, right, and center, and not just on mobile. It’s no coincidence that this started happening more frequently since the addition of the Pop-Up Cup format to the core default modes in mid-February, which means players now get +50 health or shield, as well as 150 materials, after every elimination. Since then, we’ve seen a number of records broken several times, all of which can be seen by visiting our Fortnite world records hub. MK-7 returns to Fortnite after beating Combat AR in funding station poll – Dexerto
MK-7 returns to Fortnite after beating Combat AR in funding station poll Epic GamesThe fan-favorite MK-Seven Assault Rifle — better known as the MK-7 — is returning to Fortnite. After going up against the Combat AR in the funding station, the weapon introduced in Chapter 3 won out and was re-added to Season 2. Epic Games has been playing around with the Fortnite weapon vault quite a lot recently. With the return of funding stations, players have been able to spend their gold on bringing back one of their favorite weapons. The fight between the Combat AR and the MK-7 rifle was the most hotly contested so far. The Combat AR has been a staple of Fortnite since its release, while the MK-7 was a new addition to Chapter 3 players were loving. It was that kind of appreciation and hype around the newer weapon that likely led to it winning out in the unvaulting battle as the community fully funded it in the funding station. The MK-7 won the Unvaulting Battle ~20 minutes ago! Image VIA @Jorge_Most_ pic.twitter.com/ME0D7Hr30O — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) April 8, 2022 The MK-7 rifle was re-added into Fortnite late on April 7 as a result, with it dropping in all rarities across the island. As for the Combat AR, it’ll have to wait for a future funding station poll or even Chapter 3 Season 3 to see the light of day. The vote wasn’t without its issues. Epic had to disable the funding stations for around 30 hours as votes weren’t tallying properly. Once those were sorted though, the MK-7 quickly won out. There will be more funding stations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, according to dataminers. These include: Bubble Shields vs Balloons – Boogie Bomb vs Rift-To-Go – Seven’s Turrets vs Seven’s Anti-Vehicle Turrets – UPCOMING FUNDING STATIONS (via @ralisdumb): – Combat AR vs Red-Dot AR – Bubble Shield vs Balloons – Boogie Bomb vs Rift-To-Go – Cow Catcher Vehicle Mod (Seen in the trailer) – Seven’s Turrets vs Seven’s Anti-Vehicle Turrets pic.twitter.com/YowpgKYAZm— HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 20, 2022 Exactly when those polls will launch remains to be seen, but for now, enjoy running around the Fortnite island beaming enemies with the MK-7.

Missing ‘Durrr Burger’ Sign From Fortnite Found in Real Life Desert – Dexerto
Missing ‘Durrr Burger’ Sign From Fortnite Found in Real Life Desert Up until recently, one of the most recognizable landmarks of the Greasy Grove location in Fortnite was the larger burger sign above the ‘Durrr Burger’ restaurant. However, on July 5th, the sign was the latest victim of one of the time warps/portals that have been appearing across the map, causing things to disappear without leaving a trace. In a mysterious turn of events, the Durrr Burger sign has appeared at a place that no one would have expected – a real life desert. Photographer Sela Shiloni stumbled across the cartoon-like object in an unidentified California desert, and posted pictures of it on social media. What…. is this… I’m in the middle of the desert why is this here??? pic.twitter.com/oTMiGc0Wno — Sela Shiloni (@selashiloni) July 6, 2018 Shiloni, clearly not a Fortnite player, was very confused as to why there was a large burger in the middle of nowhere. Person on insta said it’s from Fortnight? pic.twitter.com/gpPGee0WNf — Sela Shiloni (@selashiloni) July 6, 2018 Upon seeing, many Fortnite conspiracy theorist jumped into action, proposing ideas that would explain this mysterious development. Many are of the belief this is an outlandish effort from Epic Games to drop further clues as to what lays in store once Season 4 ends and Season 5 kicks off in several days. One of the prevailing theories over recent weeks is that the next season will incorporate elements of a classic “wild western” theme, and this Durrr Gurger desert phenomenon certainly would supplement that. Read More: The Latest Strange Portal to Appear in Fortnite Is Significantly Different to All That Came Before – Considering that Epic have not commented on this, there is no evidence that they were involved in any way. Someone could have simply done this on their own in an effort to throw the Fortnite community into a frenzy. Furthermore, the Durrr Burger sign was not the first or only location on the map to be hit with a portal rift; the Tomato Man in Tomato Town, Lonely Lodge, and the Motel were also hit but none of those items have appeared in real life locations.

Fortnite star mitr0 joins Team Liquid following 2019 contract drama – Dexerto
Fortnite star mitr0 joins Team Liquid following 2019 contract drama Team Atlantis / Team LiquidFortnite pro player Dmitri ‘Mitr0’ Van de Vrie is taking a big step forward in his young competitive career, signing with Team Liquid for 2020. The Dutch 17-year-old had a tumultuous, drama-filled end to his 2019, but has set high expectations for himself going into the new year. For the best Fortnite player to come out of the Netherlands, the long free agency period is over. On January 22, Team Liquid announced that they had signed Mitr0 to their European Fortnite roster. In the announcement, Liquid’s Fortnite manager Kory Arruda said that he had to reach out “the second [they] heard [Mitro] became a free agent.” There’s good reason for the team to be excited, as Mitr0 has established himself as an excellent player, having won multiple events over the past year and a half as a solo, duos, and squads player. Please welcome, @mitr0 💥 Read more: https://t.co/hmGIL28q5L pic.twitter.com/P9Dh4lNIew — Team Liquid (@TeamLiquid) January 22, 2020 The Dutch native said in the announcement that “it was always a dream” to be in Liquid, but despite arriving at his dream destination, his journey to Liquid was closer to a nightmare. Back in September, #FreeMitr0 started trending after YouTuber ‘TheFortniteGuy’ and Twitch streamer THump alleged that the player was stuck in a bad contract with Team Atlantis. According to them, he was being “grossly underpaid” and was “trapped in a 2-3 year deal with terrible benefits.” Other pros such as Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney and Mitr0’s trios teammates in FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal‘ Jackson and NRG’s benjyfishy tweeted out in support of the young pro, and after Team Atlantis released a statement regarding his contract, the two agreed to mutually part ways. With one of the largest brands in esports now supporting him, Mitr0 has set his expectations high for the 2020 campaign, saying his goal is a “top 3 power rankings spot” and to play well across multiple game modes. As for the future of the Fortnite game itself, he hopes that he might see the minigun return, calling it “legit the most fun weapon to use.” During 2019, Mitr0 won several different events even during his very public departure from Team Atlantis. This included victories in Solos Cash Cup, Trios Cash Cup and Trios Champion Series with Mongraal and benjyfishy, and a handful of different Squads events to close out the year. He also finished sixth in Duos at the Fortnite World Cup. Not bad for someone who played his first game and “thought it was a sh*t game” that he didn’t play for a month after.

Is an all-new military location coming soon to Fortnite? – Dexerto
Is an all-new military location coming soon to Fortnite? Graphics from Epic GamesEpic Games are known for keeping Fortnite Battle Royale players on their toes with the amount of new content that’s added on a regular basis, and the game’s v8.30 content update might well have given away the next major change. Clues in the v8.30 Fortnite update Military buildings have been added to Fortnite’s Creative mode in the latest patch, increasing the chances of the developer introducing an army-themed point of interest to the map in the near future. Those who have jumped into Creative will be aware that there’s already a plethora of themed buildings in the mode already, whether it be general housing that’s been in the game since day one, or more thematic builds like those seen at Lucky Landing. Eagle-eyed Fortnite fans will have also noticed another potential clue. A helicopter is currently moving from place to place as well. With the introduction of military buildings, coupled by the mysterious chopper – which may finally stop at the destination where Epic decide to build a military base – it does look very likely that an army themed point of interest is in the works. When is a military location coming to Fortnite? While it’s merely speculation at this stage, there’s a good chance that Epic could be looking towards Season 9 to implement the next drastic change to the map, or – depending on the planned scale of a military section – it could arrive in some capacity during Season 8. There’s also a chance that community creators could use military buildings as part of their submissions to be added to The Block. However, if something is in the works for a themed area of the map, this is potentially the most unlikely route. What could a military location replace in Fortnite? The Fortnite map has experienced some huge changes in Season 8, particularly in the north and northeast sections, with the introduction of a Volcano, Sunny Steps, Lazy Lagoon, as well as other locations. However, there are some areas that might well have served their purpose. The likes of Frosty Flights – which was seemingly built for planes – doesn’t quite fit in anymore, since X-4 Stormwings were vaulted at the start of the season, on February 28. Another location that a military base could replace in Fortnite is the desert biome, where there’s a lot of open space, or possibly even in the region of Junk Junction and Haunted Hills. Fortnite’s military buildings Military buildings were added to Creative mode on April 10 and we will update this article shortly with first-look images of the designs, as well as some more details.

Midas is still on Fortnite’s island, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Midas is still on Fortnite’s island, but there’s a catch Epic GamesIf you’re wondering where Midas is in Fortnite, then look no further, Shade Midas can still be found on the island as an NPC in your matches, but not where you would expect. Fortnite unleashed another mid-season update with Avatar’s Korra finally being added to the game, complete with her own Waterbending Mythic, Quests as well as various skins and cosmetics. However, this has removed all things Midas from Fortnite, including his NPC, Floor is Lava LTM, Midas’ Drum Gun Mythic weapon, and more. Well, that’s what everyone thought. You can still find Midas in Fortnite. His Shade Midas NPC can now be found at the small spawn island that you wait on as it counts down to the start of your Battle Royale matches. One player was shocked to discover him at the start of their match, “Wtf is Midas doing on spawn island,” they stated alongside a screenshot of them standing next to the Midas NPC in their shiny new Korra skin. As shown in the image, when you interact with him he will reply with a typical witty remark: “Hades thought he could keep me trapped. He would have been the first.” In response to his message, a player replied to the post: “Tough talk from someone who’s trapped on the spawn island.” “That’s where he took his boat obviously,” one said in regards to him no longer spawning on the Marigold Yacht. As another suspected: “I think he’s awaiting Brutus’ arrival as Brutus is prepping the boat.” To find Midas in Fortnite, just head to the beach on the spawn island as you wait for your Battle Royale match to begin. His Shade Midas NPC character will be walking around the beach near the steps.

Metallica concert live event is coming to Fortnite very soon – Dexerto
Metallica concert live event is coming to Fortnite very soon Epic Games/MetallicaFortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is getting a musical live event soon, specifically a Metallica concert, according to leaks and a rumored roadmap. Over the last year, Fortnite has lacked live events that take over the entire island. Epic Games has instead focused on mini-events, just like Pandora’s Box in Chapter 5. However, a leaked Fortnite roadmap hinted that players will get more events this year – including a Metallica collab with Festival and a Pirates of the Caribbean event in Battle Royale. Turns out, the Metallica collab is actually going to be a concert-style live event during the ongoing Season 3. This has been confirmed by leakers such as ShiinaBR claiming that Epic “accidentally” left a text within the game’s API files titled “Used in CH5S3 Metallica Concert”. Both Fortnite players and Metallica fans have shown their excitement and turned in their comments with one such fan saying, “Finally. Justice for all.” Another chimed in: “Remember that Fortnite events are always massive, and this one will be no exception.” A third player wrote: “Enter Sandman in Fortnite is kind of crazy though. I wonder if they will feature anyone else?” Another player commented: “Oh this season is gonna be peak.” With Fortnite Festival Season 3 ending on June 13, the Metallica live event is expected to go ahead on the same day to mark the transition into Season 4. According to NotPaloLeaks, the concert will be called “Fuel, Fire, Fury” and will include six “fan-favorite” songs. The Metallica collab is also teased on the Rust skin in Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass where he’s wearing a tank top featuring the band’s logo and art. Furthermore, the latest seasonal update also brought in several leaks regarding future collabs with Fall Guys, Deadpool, Wolverine, and more. This leaked Metallica live event is set to be the first concert since Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour to take place on the actual Battle Royale island. Fortnite always outdoes itself with each live event, as they’ve gotten increasingly bigger, like Travis Scott’s Astronomical, and this one on a Wasteland-themed island won’t be any less than epic.

Meet D3NNI, the Fortnite artist who got his custom skins added to the game – Dexerto
Meet D3NNI, the Fortnite artist who got his custom skins added to the game Fortnite prides itself on its new and unique skins in the item shop, and a few lucky concept artists such as D3NNI are pushing the mold when it comes to creativity within this space. Those of you who play Fortnite are well aware of the daily Fortnite item shop. More often than not, Epic Games is adding unique new skins in the game for players to purchase and show off in matches. Most of the time, they are designing these skins in-house with their own concept art team. However, we will frequently see some Fortnite concept artists post their skins on Reddit or Twitter, and eventually get contacted by Epic Games to bring their skin to the actual game. This is the experience that D3NNI has undergone twice in recent months, as the young concept artist has been fortunate enough to receive two skins in the title thus far. It hasn’t always been smooth sailings for D3NNI, though, as he talks us through one of the hardest points he has faced this year, and what dealing with Epic is really like. Designing skins and YouTube thumbnails Meet D3NNI, a young Canadian from the Province of Quebec who has become one of the rising stars within the Fortnite concept art community. In fact, you may have seen one of D3NNI’s skins in the item shop lately, as Isabelle and Snowbell are the two skins of his that have been recently added. D3NNI is also the Head Graphic Artist at Top5Gaming, and all of his work can be viewed at his personal artstation account. In the past, I have personally spoken with D3NNI before his skins were released into the game, and he offered me a chance to catch up with him about an ample amount of topics. From getting his skins into the game, dealing with Epic, and even his prolonged Twitter suspension – as well as the personal effects it had on him. So, it’s been a few months since we last talked, and a lot has happened in between then. First, I wanna touch on your second design that was added into Fortnite, Isabelle. This was one of the more popular concepts you have designed, and the skin was met with welcome arms. How did this process go compared to your other skin that has been added into Fortnite (Snowbell)? “I’m so grateful for the crazy amount of love/support Isabelle has received! She was even trending on Twitter at some point, which was absolutely wild. I’ve been so hyped for her release ever since I was contacted back in October of 2020, so I’m stoked that she’s finally here! The process for Isabelle was pretty much the same. Since we already had that line of communication open after Snowbell, I was familiar with how it all worked and it was definitely easier the second time around. Still just as exciting and mind-blowing, though!” Read More: Ninja reveals “sad” downside to being famous – Besides the addition of Isabelle in the item shop, you also experienced some difficulties on Twitter. For those who do not know, your account was suspended for quite some time. How stressful was this time for you, as your main Twitter account bolsters over 65.000 followers now, compared to 35,000 when we last talked? “It was honestly a very dark time for me, and it didn’t help that I was already dealing with a lot of personal things at the time. It felt like my world disappeared overnight and everything I had achieved was erased. This happened before Isabelle was finally leaked, so I was super stressed that they would have canceled her due to my suspension. Thankfully Epic was VERY understanding of the situation and everything worked out in the end!” https://twitter.com/D3NNI_yt/status/1380640759343353858 You mentioned previously that your dream role in the industry right now is being a concept artist directly at Epic Games and working on Fortnite. How has this job hunt been recently, and has there been any revelations in this regard? “It is my ultimate goal to be on the Fortnite Design Team at Epic Games, but unfortunately, I’ve had no luck ,since there haven’t been any open positions as far as I know. I personally think I still have a long way to go before I’m even worthy of that kind of job. Regardless, I am actively waiting for a chance to apply whenever that may be! If an epic employee is reading this right now, I’d love to work for you! Internship, part-time, full-time, I’m down for anything honestly!” Read More: Top 20 best Fortnite players of 2021 ranked – Criticism and controversy is something we all have to do deal with, and being such a figure within the Fortnite community now, it seems like you have dealt with your fair share of this. How has the community been as of late, and does the ‘trolls’ or ‘haters’ ever get to you? “Toxicity in the Fortnite community has always been a problem that I doubt will ever really go away, sadly. I do still deal with many haters. Definitely a lot of weirdos that cross MANY lines that shouldn’t be crossed. I don’t really let it get to me anymore, as it’s come to the point where I’m so used to it that I just tune it out completely.” Moving ahead into the second half of 2021, what are some aspirations you hope to achieve -whether it is related to your work or your personal life? “Getting hired by Epic is 100% my #1 goal, but other than that… I’d love to hit 100k followers on Twitter and hopefully get verified! Another goal of mine is to fully get into 2D art and really focus on honing in that skill. I think being skilled at 2D art would benefit me a lot as a concept artist, while also fulfilling a passion I used to have when I was a kid!” Your skins are among some of the best we have seen from a concept artist, and it’s no wonder you have received multiple skins in the game now. Has your design process changed at all in the last couple of months, and if so, what made you change the way you design? “Yes, things have changed a lot! I’ve completely moved over from blender to UE4 (the engine that Fortnite runs on), which has been SO incredible. I personally feel like my art has improved so much since that change! I definitely put a lot more time and effort into each concept now that I’ve got two officially in the game, but there’s definitely a lot of pressure to be perfect. I’ve only been releasing concepts that I’m truly in love with. I also really try to connect my designs to the game and make them feel like they fit nicely into the Fortnite universe!” Hi #PortfolioDay , i’m Denni! 😀 I’m a concept / character artist and it’s my dream to be a part of the incredible Fortnite Art Team @ Epic Games! 🎨 https://t.co/YceaIWGIW7 pic.twitter.com/tSnlyXGxhR — D3NNI (@D3NNI_yt) April 13, 2021 Last time we talked, you noted that Epic has never reached out to you regarding getting one of your designs in-game. Now, with two skins in the game, how has this process been dealing directly with Epic? “Epic is honestly the sweetest. Every time I’ve interacted with them has been such a great experience and they truly do care so much about the artists in our community! I’m so happy to see so many more community concepts from so many different artists getting into the game! As for me personally, I don’t have anything else coming to the game as of right now. I’m going to continue to release more of my ideas into the world and hopefully another one of my concepts will get into the game at some point!” Read More: Fortnite UFOs explained – Thanks again for taking part in this interview! Do you have any shoutouts you want to give or say anything to your passionate fan base? “Thank you so much for having me back here Nick! I do wanna shout out @3NUBIS because I think their concept art is absolutely fantastic and really underrated! Also, HUGE shoutout to all the awesome artists from our community, my friends, my supporters, you guys are all so amazing! Before I go, here’s a lil teaser for 2 of my upcoming projects: Oakwitch Academy has a fiery new student! But it doesn’t feel like it’s his first time on the island.. Keep an eye out ;)” D3NNI was a pleasure to speak to, and it amazes us how he is constantly able to create new and unique designs that wow the Fortnite community. Math teacher designs hilarious Fortnite-inspired bathroom pass – Dexerto
Math teacher designs hilarious Fortnite-inspired bathroom pass Epic GamesA math teacher 3D-printed a Peter Griffin medallion from Fortnite to be used as a bathroom pass for the classroom, and the community loves it. Peter Griffin’s arrival in Fortnite has been one of the most talked-about collabs in recent seasons. With his buff in-game counterpart, famous knee-holding, and hilarious cosmetics, Fortnite players have been enjoying his addition to the game. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 introduced the concept of medallions, coins collected by defeating various bosses from around the map. Each medallion will bring the player up to 50 shields but will also reveal their position on the map. The more medallions the player is carrying, the smaller the circle. Peter Griffin was one of the bosses added to Fortnite who possesses one of these medallions. It can be obtained by defeating him at Snooty Steps, which will also grant the player a mythic pump shotgun. Fortnite bathroom pass to ‘reveal’ student’s locations One Reddit user shared an image of the bathroom pass created by the math teacher. The 3D-printed pass is an exact match to the Peter Griffin medallion in-game, which was updated a few weeks into the season to make it more defined. “I don’t know if you’re a teacher or student but now you’re pinged on the map,” said one commenter. Other comments beneath the post leaned into the joke with various versions of the concept of being tracked around the school while holding the pass. With various comments regarding the math teacher ‘tracking’ where the students would go after leaving the classroom. “It’s all cool until someone pickaxes the stall while you’re dropping a deuce,” joked another user. It is unclear whether Epic Games has more Family Guy-inspired cosmetics that they will be adding to the game. The most recent addition was Ernie the Giant Chicken which had some players calling it the ‘pay to lose’ skin due to its enormous size.

Marvel’s Collector Museum POI added to Fortnite in new map changes – Dexerto
Marvel’s Collector Museum POI added to Fortnite in new map changes Epic Games / ImEntoYTEpic Games has introduced even more Marvel map changes in Fortnite’s Chapter 2, Season 4, with the Collector’s Museum from Guardians of the Galaxy now appearing in-game. Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 is continuing to deliver more Marvel-themed changes for fans to enjoy, with the Rift Beacons charging up and adding new points-of-interest around the map. Following the addition of the Panther’s Prowl monument and Ant Manor, the Rift Beacons have brought yet another familiar location to the Fortnite universe on September 6. The latest POI to be added to the Marvel-themed season is the Collector’s Museum from the planet “Knowhere” and it has now appeared on the Fortnite map near Catty’s Corner. The Collector’s Museum played a big part in recent Marvel movies. It was properly introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War as the home to the Reality Stone, after briefly appearing in Thor: The Dark World. To find this new point-of-interest on the map, Fortnite players will need to travel directly east of Catty’s Corner and look for it sitting near the top of the mountain. However, like the other Marvel locations in Fortnite, the Collector’s Museum does not offer much loot for players to collect, meaning that it might not be the best place to start your game. The Rift Beacons, that transported the Collector’s museum, have also seemingly moved into a “new stage,” suggesting that some of the biggest map changes in Season 4 are yet to arrive. ICYMI, a new Riftbeacon stage & the Collector’s Museum are now In-Game since 1-2 hours. pic.twitter.com/9c4rnDnR7P — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) September 6, 2020 The superheroes, that were introduced in Season 4, seem to be taking control over different parts of the map with these locations, in preparation for their final battle with Galactus. With Groot added as the only playable character from Guardians of the Galaxy, it is possible that this new POI could play a part in his storyline, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out.

Massive Leak Claims to Know How Season 5 Ends and Season 6 Begins in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto
Massive Leak Claims to Know How Season 5 Ends and Season 6 Begins in Fortnite Battle Royale A very lengthy ‘leak’ posted by an anonymous 4chan user has garnered some serious attention online, as it claims to have details of how Season 5 of Fortnite will end, and the beginning of Season 6. Typically, 4chan ‘leaks’ are dismissed as works of pure fiction, mainly because the site is known for being home to plenty of trolls, but there are some specific details in this post which give it some credibility. This by no means should be taken as legitimate, but it is an interesting theory or ‘leak’, and even if it is only partially accurate, it is still worth having a look into. post could be pure invention on the part of the author, if it turns out to be true, it reveals some big changes for Season 6.The post begins with the transition scenario between Season 5 and Season 6. The Executors could not live on Earth and therefore sent the Cube to change the atmosphere. Hence the anti-gravity domes that emerge from the latter and mimic the atmosphere of their home planet. When the Cube reaches Loot Lake, as expected by the data mining, it will absorb all the water and send energy to the domes around the runes to grow them. Season 5 would end with a dry Loot Lake and domes twice as big as they are now. LORE The Enforcers are the ones who sent the cube. The Enforcers cant live in Earths atmosphere so they must change it. The cube creates small domes that mimic their planets atmosphere. At loot lake the cube will absorb water and send energy to the domes, making them grow. Season 5 will end w/ loot lake drained and the domes twice as large. The trailer for season 6 will show people walking up to the cube and getting struck and bounced away. Drift walks up to the cube and when the lightning strikes him, he doesnt get knocked back (because hes human). The cube keeps striking him and the bolts get bigger. Drift becomes charged and the cube explodes POI – The wailing woods bunker opens up. The person inside decides to follow his dream: building a chicken restaurant. 1 of the battle pass skins is the restaurants mascot. The restaurant expands into an amusement park throughout the season, replacing wailing woods– Other new restaurants w/ mascot skins will appear during the season. Durr burger, weary of new competition, expands – Lonely lodge is damaged by the explosion. Its turned into a campground and tourist attraction w/ caves and a river w/ rideable canoes – Loot lake is wiped out by the explosion and a black hole (its a portal to the dark side of the world) is left in the middle. During the season the Enforcers will build a futuristic city around this area. CRYSTALS I mentioned a portal to the dark side of the world. You can go to the dark world w/ the portal, or w/ the new crystals. The crystals (parts of exploded cube) are used like hop rocks. They take you to a dark version of the world for a bit. You will be invisible to other players while there, and they will be invisible to you. You can’t use weapons there. SKIN THEMES – Dark world versions of regular skins- Some previous skins from the store will have new challenges available that allow you to unlock a dark version of the skin – Restaurant mascots – Camping – Tourist – Futuristic Dark World would apparently be a darker version of the map where it is impossible to see other players or to be seen by them. It would also be impossible to use weapons and skins would be changed to their “dark” versions in Season 6, achievable through challenges. This last statement from the mysterious 4chan user directly refers to the loading screen of the week 10 that had leaked the day before the post was published KEEMSTAR Will Bring Back Friday Fortnite But On One ConditionSurprisingly, no mention is made of the Volcanoes that were discovered in the game files recently, which is odd.

Marshmello weighs in on the BRUTE mech controversy in Fortnite – Dexerto
Marshmello weighs in on the BRUTE mech controversy in Fortnite Wikimedia / Epic GamesPopular DJ and frequent Fortnite collaborator Marshmello has weighed in on the BRUTE mech controversy in Fortnite, following weeks of community outrage. Marshmello is known as a frequent collaborator of Epic Games and a huge fan of the third person battle royale. He won 2018’s Fortnite Pro AM alongside Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, and had an exclusive in-game event featuring a concert in Pleasant Park. While frequently supportive of the game, it appears Marshmello’s patience is wearing thin, along with a significant portion of the Fortnite community. Fortnite’s Season X saw the introduction of BRUTE Mechs. Many well-known community members, including Soleil ‘EwOk’ Wheeler and Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, have argued that they are overpowered and do not have sufficient counters. On August 15, Epic Games provided an update regarding their ‘Fortnite Philosophy’, explaining that they are trying to create a gaming environment in which anyone can achieve a victory royale. While BRUTEs are unbalanced, they provide an opportunity for less skilled players to be successful. On August 21, Fortnite’s official Instagram account posted a teaser for the game’s collaboration with MajorLazer, another popular DJ. However, Marshmello didn’t seem interested in the collaboration, simply commenting: “Vault the mech!!!” It’s not the first time a collaborator of Epic Games’ has criticized the inclusion of mechs in Fortnite. Also on August 21, caster and presenter for Fortnite, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, slammed the mechs and even stopped playing in the $400,000 ‘Twitch Rivals’ in protest at the mech’s inclusion. It’s also not the first time a celebrity fan of Fortnite has lashed out at the developers. Back in March, soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic tweeted at Fortnite to revert the v8.20 update, which took siphon out of the game. Despite the backlash, siphon was not brought back to Fortnite’s base modes. Epic Games have been standing firm on the BRUTEs in Fortnite but the backlash seems to be growing as the community grows impatient at the lack of decisive action taken by the developers. As more and more community figures criticize Epic’s approach, it seems increasingly likely that we’ll see a change soon – or at least another update on why they are staying. Regardless of Epic’s reasoning, Marshmello – and countless others – aren’t fans of the giant robots.

Marshmello’s Fortnite concert reportedly sets new concurrent player record – Dexerto
Marshmello’s Fortnite concert reportedly sets new concurrent player record Reddit: GrantldThe Marshmello in-game event in Fortnite may have smashed the record for the more concurrent players in the Epic Games battle royale title. The show on February 2 was an absolute blast for players from all around the world, as they were able to drop into the Battle Royale island and witness a free concert. Everything about the show has shown that it was a huge success for Epic Games but the numbers may show that it was an even bigger success than first thought. Video game journalist Geoff Keighley revealed on Twitter that his sources told him that the show may have smashed the current record for concurrent players as it was watched by an incredible number of people in-game. Keighley tweeted: “Far From Alone: Sources are telling me there were more than *10 million concurrent players* watching the @marshmellomusic concert in @FortniteGame today – on top of the millions watching online. What a moment for gaming!” Read More: Who is Ninja from the Super Bowl commercial? – Back in November, Epic revealed there were 200 million total players within Fortnite and the record for the concurrent peak of those players was around 8.3 million. The 10 million number would clearly set a new record. The tweet about the new numbers came a few hours after the journalist questioned whether or not the show would be counted as the biggest free concert ever. The current Guinness World Record holder for that accolade is Rod Stewart’s 1993 New Year’s Eve show in Rio de Janeiro with 3.5 million people in attendance. Far From Alone: Sources are telling me there were more than *10 million concurrent players* watching the @marshmellomusic concert in @FortniteGame today – on top of the millions watching online. What a moment for gaming! pic.twitter.com/fkrPNjSC9I — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) February 3, 2019 The event wasn’t just a hugely successful moment for Epic but also an incredible technological feat, too. After the first show had finished up, the EDM DJ jumped on to play a few games of Duos with streamer Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop. There, Marshmello revealed that everything he said during the concert was being broadcast in real-time and was not pre-recorded. “That was all live, man! That was the whole thing, so you know, in the very early workings of it all we weren’t sure what could be handled as far as bandwidth and stuff like live voice, and live everything,” Marshmello revealed to Courage.

Man arrested for threatening to shoot 11-year-old boy after losing a match in Fortnite – Dexerto
Man arrested for threatening to shoot 11-year-old boy after losing a match in Fortnite A man from New York has been arrested after taking a loss in a match of Fortnite Battle Royale a little too seriously. 45-year-old Michael Aliperti, who lives in Long Island, NY, has been taken into custody after allegedly threatening to shoot an 11-year-old boy, who eliminated him in a match of Fortnite According to authorities, after Aliperti was eliminated, he began sending the boy menacing text and voice messages on Xbox, in which he threatened that he would find and shoot him, possibly at his school in Long Island. Aliperti was reported for sending threatening messages, and was arrested at his home on West Neck Road in Huntington at around 1:30 AM ET on September 18. He has since been charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child. Aliperti was scheduled to be arraigned later on the 18th, although as of now, new information about the case has not been revealed. According to his attorney, Andrew Karpf, Aliperti is currently going through a difficult divorce, and is thus under a lot of stress. Due to its immense popularity, Fortnite has a player-base that spans across numerous age groups, including many young kids who enjoy playing the animated battle royale. Unfortunately, that can lead to the development of situations like these, especially when someone takes things too seriously and loses perspective of the fact that it is simply a video game designed for people to have fun playing against each other.

Marshmello reveals behind the scenes details about his Fortnite concert – Dexerto
Marshmello reveals behind the scenes details about his Fortnite concert The Marshmello concert in Fortnite was a huge success for both Epic Games and the EDM DJ but just how some of the elements came together may be cause for a surprise for some fans. During the show, the popular EDM DJ called on fans to perform their favorite emotes, to jump and down at certain points when the in-game gravity was turned off and other general shouts to the dancers in what seemed like a pre-recorded manner. While the majority of the show may have been pre-setup and recorded, the DJ confirmed after the show, to streamer Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop, that everything he said was being broadcast in real-time – in a real technological feat for Epic Games. Courage asked the EDM DJ: “Your voice and everything, that was all pre-recorded right?” However, the answer that he received wasn’t the one that he and his chat were probably expecting. “That was all live, man!” Marshmello responded. “That was the whole thing, so you know, in the very early workings of it all we weren’t sure what could be handled as far as bandwidth and stuff like live voice, and live everything.” The popular musician explained that Epic Games figured out what needed to be figured out to give fans an absolutely incredible experience during the party. He added: “But they (Epic) took their time and figured it all out and when it was time to go they had it all sorted. Stuff like that is what makes it next level.” The original show was re-broadcast as an encore event during the early hours of the morning so that fans who may have missed the 2 pm EST performance could get a look at what happened. However, if you somehow missed both shows, you can watch a full replay of the spectacle with our highlight post.

Major nerfs made to Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs – August 22 patch notes – Dexerto
Major nerfs made to Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs – August 22 patch notes Epic GamesEpic Games have released a flurry of adjustments for the BRUTE Mech suits in Fortnite Battle Royale, finally answering the community’s demands to nerf the controversial vehicle. There is no doubt that, once it’s all said and done, the BRUTE Mech suits will go down as one of the most controversial items ever added in Fortnite. Pretty much since the start of Season X, content creators, pro players, and those who play casually have all joined in solidarity against the vehicle, demanding that Epic remove them from the game. While that still looks like it’s never going to happen, the developers finally caved in a bit and implemented several major changes to the robots on August 22. Read More: Ninja’s wife proves BRUTEs aren’t always OP – Details about these changes can be seen below, all of which are now live in the game and do not require a download or patch client. Eight total nerfs Epic have implemented eight nerfs to the BRUTEs, including a decreased maximum of rockets that can be fired, the rate of fire of these rockets, and the rockets’ explosion radius, as well adjustments made to the spawn rates of the vehicles at various Storm phases, all the way up to phase three. In addition to outlining these nerfs, Epic also provided explanations for each one, giving players insight as to what motivated each specific change. Health increase to BRUTEs There were nine total changes made to the Mechs on August 22, and while eight of them were nerfs, one was not, as the developers increased the BRUTEs’ health from 1,000 to 1,250 points. “Within the above changes,” the wrote, “users of the BRUTE need to play a bit more strategic than before, so we want to give a little bit longer of a window to do so.” The full list of changes and their individual explanations can be seen below, as provided by Epic in their blog post. Heya Folks, We have made several adjustments to the B.R.U.T.E., these changes are now live in all game modes and you do not need to download or patch your client. We will also be temporarily disabling the Junk Rift for this weekend’s FNCS tournament and Arena playlists until the 10.20 update. B.R.U.T.E. Decreased the maximum amount of rockets fired by the B.R.U.T.E. in a single charge from 10 to 6. – Decreased the rate at which the rockets are fired from the B.R.U.T.E. by 56%. Our goal with these changes is to increase the back and forth between the users of the B.R.U.T.E. and the players they face. These changes allow the players on the receiving end of the missile volley to have more time to react and protect themselves. – – Decreased the radius of the B.R.U.T.E.’s rocket explosion by 42%. Our goal with this change is to improve consistency and understanding around focused barrages of missiles. B.R.U.T.E.s will continue to be a strong option against structures, but less lethal against players. – – Increased the dash cooldown from 3 seconds to 5 seconds. The previous dash cooldown not only increased the B.R.U.T.E.’s mobility, but also made the B.R.U.T.E.s a harder target to hit from distance than we’d like. The adjustment here reduces the ability to close gaps quickly while in the B.R.U.T.E. while also increasing the ability to land shots on target for players facing the B.R.U.T.E. – – Decreased the velocity gained from boosting while in air by 33%. We want to reduce a B.R.U.T.E.’s ability to engage and disengage at long distances to encourage a more strategic approach to an encounter. In general we hope to shift B.R.U.T.E.s away from being highly mobile and put more emphasis on their already defensive nature. – – The B.R.U.T.E. no longer grants materials to the driver and passenger when stomping or dashing through the environment. Note: This change should roll out shortly following the other changes. – Our goal is to add more tension between being in and out of a B.R.U.T.E. as well as reduce instances where players can farm faster than intended without exposing themselves to danger. – – Adjusted the variability of spawn rates for storm phases 1, 2, and 3 in core modes. Arena spawn rates will remain unchanged. Storm phase 1 New spawn rates 29% chance to spawn 0. – 14.3% chance to spawn 1. – 14.3% chance to spawn 2. – 14.3% chance to spawn 3. – 14.3% chance to spawn 4. – 14.3% chance to spawn 5. – – Old spawn rates 33% chance to spawn 2. – 33% chance to spawn 3. – 33% chance to spawn 4. – – – New spawn rates – Storm phase 2 New spawn rates 25% chance to spawn 0. – 25% chance to spawn 1. – 25% chance to spawn 2. – 25% chance to spawn 3. – – Old spawn rates 33% chance to spawn 2. – 33% chance to spawn 3. – 33% chance to spawn 4. – – – New spawn rates – Storm phase 3 New spawn rates 25% chance to spawn 0. – 25% chance to spawn 1. – 25% chance to spawn 2. – 25% chance to spawn 3. – – Old spawn rates 33% chance to spawn 1. – 33% chance to spawn 2. – 33% chance to spawn 3. – – – New spawn rates – Previously, the early stages of a match were guaranteed a minimum amount of B.R.U.T.E.s. We’d like to provide a little more variance to that experience so that matches don’t always play out the same way. The overall average number of B.R.U.T.E.s per game is reduced slightly. – – Storm phase 1 – Decreased the material cost of using the gunner’s overshield from 200 to 75. Our goal is to further emphasize use of materials for positive defensive benefit. – – Increased the Health of the B.R.U.T.E from 1000 to 1250. With the above changes, users of the B.R.U.T.E. need to play a bit more strategic than before, so we want to give a little bit longer of a window to do so. – – Junk Rift The Junk Rift has been temporarily removed from Arena playlists. – This is due to an audio issue caused when the portal is significantly higher than a player. –

Until then, Friday Fortnite will continue to be played on the 13th and 20th of July, as regularly planned. #FridayFortnite will move to #SundayFortnite starting July 29th#100kRealmRoyale will move to Thursday’s starting 19th#MinecraftMondays will stay the same. Dates change but the goal remains the same, putting on an amazing show for the community. Ps MCM is a joke. — KEEM (@KEEMSTAR) July 12, 2018 Once the scheduling change comes into effect, the start time for the new Sunday Fortnite will also be changed, going from 1 PM PT to 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Also when we make the move to #SundayFortnite on July 29th the event will start at 1pm EST – 10am PST – 6PM GMT https://t.co/iXQUwBUE5d — KEEM (@KEEMSTAR) July 12, 2018 As Keem alluded to in the tweet above, these scheduling changes are being made in reaction to Epic Games’ recently announced ‘Summer Skirmish’ Fortnite tournaments, which will be taking place every weekend over the next 8 weeks. Although he isn’t too happy about it, the YouTuber understands that there is nothing he can do when it comes to the schedule that Epic has chosen for its competitions. Not much we can do , @EpicGames is running overlapping events on Friday this summer — KEEM (@KEEMSTAR) July 12, 2018 It will be worth keeping an eye on how these scheduling changes will affect Friday Fortnite, which has reached unprecedented success in terms of both viewership and participation. At least for the Realm Royale tournament, these changes should not have much effect since it has not yet been played due to multiple delays.

Major Fortnite update just slapped Captain America & War Machine with big nerfs – Dexerto
Major Fortnite update just slapped Captain America & War Machine with big nerfs Epic GamesCaptain America’s Shield and War Machine’s Arsenal emerged as two of the most powerful items in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, forcing Epic Games to step in and knock both down a peg. Fortnite players labeled Captain America’s Shield “broken as hell” because of its unique capability to deal massive damage while blocking incoming damage with ease. Frustrations mounted when the deadly combo of Captain America’s Shield, War Machine’s Auto Turret, and War Machine’s Hover Jets emerged. Using all three equipment items in tandem made it possible to eliminate enemies from above while being protected. In response, players developed a simple countermeasure. All it took was creating distance and spamming the shield with an Automatic AR. After breaking the shield, you could move in for an easy finish. It didn’t take long for Epic Games to take matters into its own hands with a nerf that’s sure to change the meta moving forward. August 20 Fortnite update As reported by FN Assist, here is everything included in the latest hotfix. Captain America’s Shield: Spawn chance reduced – Chests, Avengers Chest, Floor Loot: -33 percent – Rare chests: -54 percent – Supply drops: -16 percent – First hit damage: Decrease from 60 to 50 – Stagger threshold (damage before breaking block) reduced by 50 percent (decrease from 500 to 250) – Decay Start Time: From three to four seconds – Decay per tick: Decrease from 40 to 15 – Throw Homing lock radius has been reduced by 40% accuracy – War Machine’s Arsenal Spawn chance reduced – Rare chests: -68 percent – Avengers chest: -50 percent – Rockets reload time after firing increased from three seconds to six seconds – Rockets reload time increased by one seconds to two seconds – Rocket environmental damage decreased from 100 to 80 – War Machine’s Auto Turret and Hover Jet spawn chance have both been reduced by 50% in Rare Chests – Sovereign Shotgun ADS time reduced by 25 percent – Firing Down Sights Speed Multiplier increased by 4.6 percent –

Major Fortnite audio improvements coming soon in v8.01 patch – Dexerto
Major Fortnite audio improvements coming soon in v8.01 patch Epic Games have announced that a series of audio improvements are coming to Fortnite Battle Royale in the game’s first update since the start of Season 8. On March 1, a member of the BR audio team published a post on Reddit that detailed all of the changes to audio that will be implemented in the upcoming v8.01 update. His post included a breakdown of all five major improvements they want to incorporate, which will affect sounds for certain weapons, building mechanics, footsteps, and more. Weapon audio improvements The first item on the list is an improvement to the standard assault rifle sounds “so that it’s not overbearing on the shooter.” In Seth’s words, the team wants to tighten up the sounds so it’s “more of a BLaaam versus a BLAAAM.” Building audio improvements A change will be implemented in the v8.01 update that will make the sound of a built piece getting destroyed much louder when it’s instigated by an enemy player. This will help prevent situations where players can’t properly hear when something they built gets destroyed by an opponent. Footsteps audio improvements There will be two different changes made to how footsteps sound in Fortnite. The first will blend footstep audio in the layers above and below players, instead of abruptly switching back and forth. This will clear up any confusion players have when enemies are walking above and below them at the same time. The second change will make enemy footsteps sound louder and clearer when they have a line-of-sight on you from above or below. This will be to limit scenarios where enemy players’ footsteps sounds muffled/occluded, even though there is a direct line of sight between you and them. Season 8 umbrella audio improvement Since Season 8 has gone live, players have been complaining about how loud the palm tree umbrella glider is. The v8.01 update will reduce its volume, which will affect its open/close layers. The sound of the steel drum riff will not be affected. Speaking of which, this update will also fix an issue which was causing the umbrella not to play the drum sound. All of these audio improvements are expected to be implemented in the v8.01 update, which will likely go live sometime between March 5-6. Of course, this all comes after Epic already made some major audio changes in the v8.00 update, which kicked off Season 8. Make sure to follow us on @Dexerto to keep updated on the latest Fortnite news, updates, leaks, and more!

Major Fortnite FPS problems revealed and how to avoid them – Dexerto
Major Fortnite FPS problems revealed and how to avoid them Epic GamesAn unusual Fortnite bug has been found with bushes that are scattered around the map, causing players to endure massive FPS (frames per second) drops when hiding their character inside of them. [jwplayer BbiWbi4j]The map in Fortnite is constantly evolving, with major changes introduced to the island at the start of almost every season in the popular battle royale. While much has changed since the game’s launch, there are some points-of-interest and map features that have surprisingly stuck around over the years. One of those features is the bushes that can be found across the map, allowing players to take cover inside and potentially outplay their opponents using this neat hiding spot. Bushes were first included as part of the environment, however, they were also made to be a legendary consumable item in Chapter 1 and could be equipped to provide cover on the fly. The consumable version of the feature was vaulted after they were made useless with the recent addition of bigger bushes, in Chapter 2, which now seem to be causing players to suffer some unusual framerate bugs in-game. Fortnite player u/justukasz posted a short clip of the issues on Reddit, revealing that they would lose over a third of their framerate when hiding in or even facing these Chapter 2 map features. “Basically you get some massive fps drops when being or looking at a bush, so if you’re struggling with fps make sure to stay away from bushes,” the Fortnite fan explained, warning others to avoid them if possible. How to avoid FPS drops The post received a lot of support from other players, who had also been affected by these issues, and one user claimed that these “massive FPS drops” would be particularly noticeable for those with a GPU-bound PC. This is not the first bug that to have a significant effect on the frame rate in Fortnite, as it was also revealed that some of the Season 3 skins, such as the ‘Blaze’ Renegade Raider set, were also causing players’ FPS to plummet. So, you’ll want to avoid bushes at all costs, and stay away from the Renegade Raider set to keep your FPS smooth. As of now, Epic Games have not yet responded to any of the recent issues, although it is likely they will look to address some of the bugs in later updates.

Major changes made to the Food Fight LTM in Fortnite – Dexerto
Major changes made to the Food Fight LTM in Fortnite Epic Games have made several adjustments to the new Food Fight Limited Time Mode in Fortnite Battle Royale. The Food Fight LTM, which was added on November 14 as part of the v6.30 update, is a mode that is based on the rivalry between the Durrr Burger and Pizza Pit restaurants and their mascots Beef Boss and Tomatohead. The mode features two teams on either side of the map separated by a huge barrier that run downs the middle. The teams’ objective is to destroy the opposing side’s mascot when the Barrier is lowered, all while building a fort to protect their own. While this LTM has only been in Fortnite for a day, the developers felt that certain aspects of it were not balanced correctly and needed adjustments. As a result, a hotfix was sent out on November 15 to implement the following changes to the mode: Mascot health decreased from 200k to 100k – Decreased Mounted Turret drop rate by 50% – Added the timer of Storm 4 to Storm 3. – This means there will only be 3 total Storm Circles. – Reduced the “Auto Mascot Damage” by 40% – Auto Mascot damage is applied to each teams Mascot at set intervals so that matches will auto resolve within a set time frame if neither team is able to destroy the enemies Mascot. Auto Mascot damage starts ticking 5 minutes after Storm Circle 2. – It’s not clear until when the Food Fight LTM is going to available in Fortnite, although these types of themed LTMs are often not kept long in the game. One thing that is clear, however, is that Epic have been really focused on pushing this food rivalry storyline, which could end up being playing a big role during the end of this Season. More information and details about the Food Fight LTM is available HERE. Source – Reddit

Major changes coming to Fortnite’s Streamer Mode that will further help prevent stream sniping – Dexerto
Major changes coming to Fortnite’s Streamer Mode that will further help prevent stream sniping Epic Games have announced they’re taking additional measures against stream sniping by making some critical changes to the Streamer Mode in Fortnite Battle Royale. For those unfamiliar with the term, ‘stream sniping’ refers to the act of deliberately trying to join the same match as someone who is live-streaming in order to mess with their gaming experience. The current Streamer Mode prevents that to an extent by making the the names of the streamer and everyone else in the match anonymous in the elimination feed, although that has not stopped some of the more advanced stream snipers. In order to further address this issue, Epic are changing Streamer Mode to now feature two different options – ‘Anonymous’ and ‘Hide Other Players’ Names.’ The first option, Anonymous, will work very similarly to the current system in that the streamer’s name will appear anonymous but the names of everyone else in the match will appear as normal. The other option, which is the newer of the two, will turn every single player’s name anonymous, including the streamer’s, and they will be shown as a random ‘Player #’ in the elimination feed. Players will be able to enable both of these options at the same time in order to avoid stream snipers as much as possible. These changes will be implemented in the upcoming v7.30 update on January 28, and the details were made public after Epic sent them to each player who is an official member of the ‘Support-a-Creator’ program. Only time will tell whether or not this will considerably help fix the stream sniping problem in Fortnite, but it will at least appease some of the prominent live-streamers who often complain about the issue. Fortnite superstar such as Ninja, Tfue, Myth, and many others have been calling for Epic to take some proactive approach to addressing stream sniping, and it appears that the developers have finally listened.

Major Changes Coming to Fortnite in v5.40 Update – Storm Destruction, Item Adjustments, and More – Dexerto
Major Changes Coming to Fortnite in v5.40 Update – Storm Destruction, Item Adjustments, and More The upcoming v5.30 Update in Fortnite Battle Royale is going to bring several major changes to the game, specifically involving the Storm, item rarities, and more. In the August 31 release of the Fortnite Dev Update, developer Eric Williamson discussed the changes that were coming with the next update, the first of which is a new concept called Storm Destruction. This new mechanic will allow the Storm to cause damage to player-built structures in the end phase of the game. “So in 5.40, we have a new concept called Storm Damage. The basic idea is that the edge of the storm will do damage to player-built structures in the final phases of the game. Less than 10% of our matches are affected by this, or make it that long. So we’re really trying to tactically adjust the final stage to provide a more dynamic gameplay.” “In 5.40 we’ll be vaulting the Revolver. This is part of an initiative to keep the item pool feeling fresh and dynamic. In the past, you’ve seen we’ve brought back the Guided Missile, which was vaulted for a period of time. So an item that was vaulted doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s gone forever. […] We’ll be targeting future updates, potentially Season 6, as an opportunity to vault more items. Additionally, major changes and adjustments will be implemented to some of the items that are currently in the game. The Remote Explosive’s rarity will be increased from Rare to Epic, the Boogie Bomb will now be dropping a stack size of two, and the maximum stack size of the large Shield Potion will be increased from two to three.

Major changes coming to Arena mode in Fortnite Battle Royale, according to leaks – Dexerto
Major changes coming to Arena mode in Fortnite Battle Royale, according to leaks Epic GamesA new leak suggests the competitive Arena mode in Fortnite Battle Royale could be getting a Squads playlist in the near future. When Fortnite Battle Royale’s Arena mode launched, it only came with a Solos and Duos playlist, much to the chagrin of players who only played with a squad of friends. However, if this new leak is anything to go off, Epic Games will be adding in a Squads playlist in the future which means if you and your squad are looking for a more competitive way to play Fortnite, your wishes may soon be coming true. Keep in mind leaks should be taken with a grain of salt until we receive official word from Epic Games. Arena Squad is finally coming to the game!! (THIS IS A LEAK) Cc: @MakksBR pic.twitter.com/yHI6Z54h7L — HYPEX (@HYPEX) May 22, 2019 On top of all of this, a Trios playlist appears to be on the horizon for those who play as a threesome. This is big news for players who wanted a competitive setting but with more than just one other player. Like the Squads playlist, Trios is another leak so don’t take it at face value until Epic confirms it themselves. Will this please players? When siphon was removed from regular lobbies, there was a lot of blowback from many of the big content creators on Twitch and YouTube who condemned the changes. Epic Games responded to this saying the Arenas playlist will always have siphon and that will remain an option for players. With all the normal playlists being available in competitive, this could end up having a positive effect on the community. Keep in mind that if these modes do arrive, they probably won’t allow you to qualify for the World Cup, unless Epic Games decides to make some extreme changes in the middle of qualifiers.

Major audio improvements are coming in Season 6 of Fortnite – footsteps, Gliders, and more – Dexerto
Major audio improvements are coming in Season 6 of Fortnite – footsteps, Gliders, and more Epic Games have announced that they will be implementing major changes to some of the audio when Season 6 launches in Fortnite Battle Royale. The changes to audio in Fortnite will be implemented in two phases – some will be implemented right at the launch of Season 6, while other features will be added at some point during the season. The first set of changes, which will come as part of the v6.00 update, will improve footstep sounds and Glider audio tells. Season 6 – v6.00 Footstep sounds More contrast between above/below steps. We want this to be easier to determine on the fly, especially while other sounds are playing (gunfire, harvesting, etc). – – More high frequency audio content to improve your ability to pinpoint the location of steps, and to prevent them from getting drowned out during intense combat. – – More contrast between above/below steps. – Glider audio tells Increased awareness when an enemy is gliding in your vicinity. Doppler-based glider audio for incoming threats. This will create that “car passing by” effect when a player glides over top of you. – Improved spatialization of both skydiving and gliding players. – Ability to hear the open/close sounds of gliders from further away. – – – Increased awareness when an enemy is gliding in your vicinity. – The next set of changes, which will be made during Season 6, will add audio tells for in-air movement options, as well as discover and address cases where sounds don’t play at all. During Season 6 A system to add audio tells for in-air movement options (falling, Bouncers, Shockwave Grenades, etc). In Fortnite there are a lot of options for players who want to send themselves flying through the air. We want to add sound to players as they fly. – This will provide additional tactical information and reduce cases where a player launches behind you without you knowing it. – Better info to help you predict where your enemy may approach from. – – Discover and address cases where sounds don’t play at all. Due to the chaotic nature of the game, sometimes important cues fail to play or are lost in the mix. We’re working on identifying and fixing cases where this occurs. – – In addition to these changes, Epic Games are looking into other audio features for Fortnite they can add and/or improve upon in the future. Two features they are currently exploring are Sound Propogation, which would make how sound travels in Fortnite more like the real world, and Head-related transfer fucntion filtering, where sounds around players would be filtered to sound as if they’re passing through their bodies. Season 6 in Fortnite will launch on September 27, with a 400% Match XP promotion event announced from now until September 24 at 8 AM ET.

Major bug discovered with Fortnite’s brand new Scoped Revolver [UPDATED] – Dexerto
Major bug discovered with Fortnite’s brand new Scoped Revolver [UPDATED] UPDATE – January 16 Epic Games have released a hotfix that has patched the ghost peeking issue with all scoped weapons, including the Scoped Revolver. More info on this hotfix can be found HERE. The newest weapon in Fortnite Battle Royale is the Scoped Revolver and it looks as though there’s already a major bug associated with it in the game. As its name suggests, the Scoped Revolver is a “six-shot pistol that packs a punch and provides accuracy at long range.” It was added on January 15 as part of the massive v7.20 update, and it comes in both Epic and Legendary variants and can be obtained from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines. However, players have been quick to realize that they are able to use the weapon to shoot at others from behind the safety of cover and not have to peek when firing. A video posted by Reddit user ‘iDelTaa,’ shows how a Hunting Rifle shot strikes the wood cover when fired at without peeking but the Revolver perfectly hits the enemy player from the same exact position. This has turned out not to be an anomaly and players are already exploiting this bug to get easy eliminations and even earn Victory Royales. Several users commented on the Reddit post confirming that they had been on the wrong end of the bug, with one even saying, “Already happened to me twice, which caused me to end at #2. I thought they had aimbots.” Considering how game-breaking this bug can be, it’s not hard to see why players would think that they are being eliminated by an aimbot, and ghost peeking is certainly something that has plagued Fortnite in the past. No one from Epic Games has officially commented on this issue, although they’re usually good about addressing things like this promptly so it will probably not be long until something is done about it. However, unless the developers can find a way to roll out a live hotfix into the game that will automatically fix this issue, we may see the Scoped Revolver disabled before too long so that the bug can be properly addressed.

Luminosity Streamer ‘SypherPK’ Celebrates a Fortnite Win Too Early and Pays the Awkward Price – Dexerto
Luminosity Streamer ‘SypherPK’ Celebrates a Fortnite Win Too Early and Pays the Awkward Price One of the worst things that can happen when playing video games is celebrating a victory or triumph too early and then paying the awkward price. The embarrassment of such a situation gets even more amplified when it happens live on stream in front of thousands of viewers. This was the case for Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan, who is a Fortnite: Battle Royale streamer and player for the Luminosity Gaming esports organization. SyherPK, who is a weekly participant of the ‘Friday Fortnite’ tournament, proved that even the best and most veteran of Fortnite players can find themselves commiting rookie mistakes. SypherPK was live-streaming Fortnite on Twitch on May 27th and found himself in a 1v1 situation at the end of one of his matches. Judging from the playstyle of his lone opponent, it appeared that the streamer was far more superior and was destined to get the Victory Royale. As he knocked his opponent down, he did a celebratory emote in-game, figuring that the player’s fall would eliminate him. However, the opponent somehow survived and began shooting at SypherPK from below. As he quickly tried to regain his attacking position, the platform on which he was standing on was destroyed, and the subsequent fall eliminated him and gave the opponent the unlikely victory. SypherPK’s hilarious roar of rage at the end of the video was inspired by a mixture of disbelief and embarrassment, as he knew that his large number of viewers had witnessed him commit a cardinal sin in online gaming. Ironically, the emote that he used prematurely was the new ‘Take 14’ emote, which is a reference to re-shooting another take in filmmaking, much how he had to redo the sequence after initially thinking he had won. What added insult to injury was when a look at the replay in slow motion revealed that the opponent player’s fall had left him with minimal health, while SypherPK’s fall from about the same height had completely eliminated him.

Luminosity kick Fortnite pro player amid account scamming controversy – Dexerto
Luminosity kick Fortnite pro player amid account scamming controversy LG/Epic GamesKreo found himself in trouble after a YouTube video was published that accused the pro of scamming a Fortnite player out of over $100. According to the 17-minute video posted by The Fortnite Guy, a player known only as Noah, contacted Kreo in an attempt to get the pro to play on his account and win matches on it. Kreo apparently agreed to do so and was said to also have offered to sell Noah other Fortnite accounts that had increasingly rare cosmetic items tucked away in their inventories. The video alleged that despite Noah’s best efforts to contact the LG pro about resolving the issue, he ended up not being able to access the account or get his money back that he had paid for the wins boosting. Now, Luminosity has reacted to the alleged incident by severing ties with the accused pro player. After the allegations against Kreo had surfaced, Luminosity took to Twitter to confirm they would be ‘investigating thoroughly’ before commenting or making any decisions. While the Fortnite pro has been released by Luminosity, it is currently unclear as to whether Epic Games will also punish Kreo in regards to the incident.

Streamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Ali-A have joined the game’s roster too, but what about Ludwig Ahgren? The former Twitch streamer might just get his wish granted, as Ludwig has suggested his smooth dance moves should appear in the game. 100 Thieves and Misfits Gaming streamers praise Ludwig’s Fortnite dance idea Fortnite has hundreds of dances to bust out, but they don’t have Ludwig popping and locking his way to victory. The streaming superstar addressed the game directly on social media, jokingly pleading for Epic Games to hear his call. “@FortniteGame what do I gotta do to get this s**t in the game,” asked the YouTuber. To illustrate his point, Ludwig shared a montage of himself and an array of TikTok attempting to copy his moves. Each team of budding streamers is set to be joined by a “big streamer friend” of Ludwig’s in the captain spot. We’re likely to see custom lobbies in effect for each Fortnite event, with standard rules in effect. Kills and placement in each match will presumably be just as important as ever. As always, we’ll keep you updated right here once the finalized ruleset is made public. Though knowing Ludwig, it’s sure to be a messy event right up until the final moments.

Loserfruit laughs off claims Fortnite is dying: “It’s just about to peak again” – Dexerto
Loserfruit laughs off claims Fortnite is dying: “It’s just about to peak again” Epic Games / Twitch: LoserfruitKathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten has laughed off suggestions Fortnite is “even close to dying” in the near future, and has even claimed the Epic Games juggernaut’s best is still yet to come in an exclusive Dexerto interview. Two weeks ago, Epic Games released Fortnite Season 8, bringing the Cosmic Cube and corruption back to the iconic battle royale’s war-torn island battleground. The thematic Chapter 2 update is just one in a long line of story-driven changes Epic has been making to their flagship title over the past year, constantly bringing in new skins, enemies, and weapons — but, despite all that, claims Fortnite is “dying” still continue to circle the now five-year-old battle royale. According to Loserfruit, those claims are totally wrong. The Twitch star, who joined Lachlan’s PWR org recently, explained to Dexerto why she believes Fortnite is actually heading the other way, towards its next peak. Loserfruit spoke to Dexerto in late October, following her Team PWR move, and weighed in on the future of Fortnite, and why claims the game is “dying” are wrong. “I think we’re in a waiting time with Fortnite now where the game is about to have its next really big peak. When that happens, I think people will stop thinking they’re edgy by saying it’s dead,” she said. “The state of Fortnite is the best it’s ever been.” The main reason why, Loserfruit said, is all the features and focus Epic has loaded into Fortnite in the past few seasons. The Twitch streamer explained: “They’ve put more ability to travel across the map fast, there are all-new funny items, and on a balance standpoint, it’s the best and most enjoyable it’s ever been. She would like to see more ranked Fortnite modes added to the game to make grinding a little more interesting, she added, but overall it’s in a “really good place.” Loserfruit has a vested interest in the longevity of Fortnite, of course, but her faith in the game also comes from a place of love — many of her favorite memories as a streamer come from Epic’s flagship title, she admits, from her growing fandom to duoing with Grefg, and getting a skin in the game. “Fortnite has been my main focus for the past four years,” she said. “[There’ve been plenty of] memorable moments, including my skin, and Spanish fans from Grefg. “I’ve explored other horizons, away from Fortnite, but that’s mainly streaming more than YouTube videos. Rocket League, GTA, Fall Guys, Minecraft, I love those games, but Fortnite is always on my horizon, and I don’t see that changing.” Read More: Fortnite update 18.30 patch notes – The modern gaming landscape won’t change, she added, with juggernauts like Warzone, League, and Fortnite “here to stay, constantly evolving with the scene.”

Loot Llamas are spawning in surprising spots on the Fortnite map – Dexerto
Loot Llamas are spawning in surprising spots on the Fortnite map Epic GamesFortnite Season 7 has been underway for less than a week, however, that has not stopped fans searching for clues about the next possible update and what more there may be to come. The winter snowstorm and iceberg crashed into the island, giving players a whole new experience to Fortnite. As with every update, Epic games has added plenty of new content, including the addition of the X-4 Stormwing attack plane, zip lines across the map and the ability to add skins to items with wraps. Everything is now in a winter theme, with plenty of items that add to a Christmasy experience – which should only increase as the run-up to the biggest holiday continues. However, the cold weather never lasts forever and some references to melting can already be spotted. In a post to the Fortnite subreddit, user xeno486 shows off a Loot Llama that has appeared under a sheet of ice where Greasy Grove used to be. The Llama in Xeno’s post is only visible with the thermal scope. The spawns of the Llama’s in-game are random and usually follow a similar path to the airpdrops – being found on open surfaces rather than inside buildings and structures. However, one spawning under the ice doesn’t seem all too random. Some theories in the comments to the Reddit post suggest that as time goes on, the ice will melt and reveal an updated Greasy Grove. It is also completely possible that this particular Llama spawn could be an error on Epic’s part but that would certainly ruin some of the fun for fans. If anything does change, your best bet is to keep an eye on our updates!

Loserfruit confirms her Fortnite Icon Series skin is delayed – Dexerto
Loserfruit confirms her Fortnite Icon Series skin is delayed Instagram: LoserfruitJust a few days after her Fortnite Icon Series skin was leaked, Kathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten has confirmed that the skin is on its way, but has been delayed due to current global events. The Fortnite Icon Series was created to commemorate some of the biggest personalities that have come from Epic Games’ hit battle royale title. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was the first to get his own skin in January 2020, but nobody else has had one since. Though rumors bounced around that other top influencers such as Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney would or should be honored, the only one that leaks really seemed to suggest were coming was that of Loserfruit’s. Loserfruit is an Australian content creator that saw huge growth thanks to her Fortnite streams, and on May 30, her Icon Series skins were leaked, revealing what fans could be getting in the near future. Now, though, Loserfruit revealed in her June 3 stream that the skin has been, unfortunately, delayed. “Update: Last night, at like 1am I think, me and Epic decided it wasn’t the right time to release the skin this week,” she said. “I think you guys know from the leaks – and I never acknowledge the leaks – that it was meant to come out on the third (of June).” She continued: “So, we decided to wait. It didn’t feel right to do it… We can’t really celebrate at the moment.” Loserfruit clearly looks a little upset at the change, calling the skin “one of the most crazy things that’s going to happen [to me],” but is evidently understanding of the situation given what is currently going on across the United States and globally. She does go on to say that the skin won’t be coming this week, and “next week is the new season so it won’t be then either,” so fans may be looking closer to the end of June to see the Loserfruit skin in the Item Shop. As for which other content creators will be added to the Icon Series line, we don’t know yet, but expect to see some big names in the coming months.

Loot Lake vault looks set to make a return in Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto
Loot Lake vault looks set to make a return in Fortnite Season 2 Epic GamesEagle-eyed Fortnite fans have noticed an incredibly strange occurrence on the Chapter 2 map of late – the Loot Lake vault that spearheaded Chapter 1’s carnage has been frequently reappearing. Fans of Fortnite’s first chapter will be well aware of the carnage caused by Loot Lake’s vault. Multiple world-bending events saw the vault responsible for all kinds of carnage, including sending the island in Loot Lake’s centre on multiple tours of the map. Despite its centrality to the narratives of Chapter 1, Loot Lake was, like many other fan-favorite POIs, ditched for the game’s second chapter in favor of a brand new map and a host of new locations. Since Chapter 2’s map dropped back in October, players have noticed some minute similarities between the two maps. The most noticeable is probably at Steamy Stacks and the Kevolution Energy plant. There’s a small statue of Kevin the Cube, the giant 3D object that roamed the map over Chapter 1. However, one Fortnite fan by the Reddit name u/Koooooomar has since discovered a suspicious image that’s been slowly coming into focus over the past few weeks. As the images become clearer, fans have drawn the unmistakable parallel with the Loot Lake vault. Although difficult to discern, the pattern displayed on the top of the opening to the vault appears to be identifiable. So, what does it all mean? It certainly appears to draw more parallels between the maps from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Despite the fact there is no Loot Lake on the Chapter 2 map, the vault could easily surface from under another body of water, like under The Agency, which sits in a very similar position to Loot Lake in terms of its position on the map. We don’t exactly know what the season-ending event for Season 2 is going to be, but it’s a fair assumption that the vault could come in to play. What we don’t know, however, is how it will overlap with the other clues we’ve found, like Midas’ head collection or a leaked skin known only as ‘Spy’. Epic Games love their cryptic teasers, and it doesn’t look like they’re changing their ways in Fortnite’s second chapter.

Logic teases potential Fortnite collaboration and fans are already hyped – Dexerto
Logic teases potential Fortnite collaboration and fans are already hyped crunchyroll / epic gamesWell-known rapper Logic may have just hinted at a potential future Fortnite collab via a recent post on his Instagram account. Fortnite has brought some of the most popular celebrities to the game, with some of them having their own full concert experience. Recently, we’ve just had Billie Eilish and Metallica collabs in the game, and now, well-known rapper Logic has hinted that he’ll be partnering up with Fortnite too. On his Instagram account, Logic uploaded a post tagging Fortnite with an image of some of the game’s beloved characters. In a painting-like style, the image in the post shows Jonesy, Fishstick, Tomatohead, Meowscles, and Peely looking at the camera while mostly wearing bright-colored jumpsuits. So far, no other information has been shared in the caption, but many players in the comments are already hyped up about a future Logic x Fortnite collab. “We need a Logic skin!” replied one user, following the reveal. “Please let there be a Logic skin that would be so fire,” commented another user. On the other hand, one user is convinced the rapper be getting his own in-game concert soon. They wrote: “I’m calling it now. He’s having a concert in Fortnite after Ultra 85 releases.” Currently, Logic already has an emote in the game called ‘Lil Supercar’ that features his “Vroom Vroom” song with C Dot Castro. Combined with Ultra 85’s release next week, the odds are looking all the more likely that the rapper may soon be getting a Fortnite collab. Though so far, it’s unknown what things this collab would include. In most cases, collabs with celebrities usually offer a skin, back bling, pickaxe, glider, and a wrap, and it’s possible to have different variants of the skin – like the Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande ones for example. A new emote and weapon wrap could also be included, and as far as celebrity skins go, there’s always a chance they’ll get their own concert. For now, players will just have to be patient until an official announcement drops.

Long-awaited Bao Bros skins finally added to Fortnite – Dexerto
Long-awaited Bao Bros skins finally added to Fortnite Fortnite Battle Royale’s long-awaited dumpling skin styles have finally been added in Chapter 2 and they’re called the Bao Bros. Many players will have been keeping a close eye on the Fortnite Item Shop and challenge rewards for months, just to get a sighting of these fresh characters, after they were leaked several months ago. As time has passed by, a number of crossovers have been seen in the free-to-play game, seemingly shelving plans for Epic Games to add the Bao Bros for quite some time. However, they have now been released. How to get Bao Bros skins in Fortnite Those wanting to run around looking like a fighting dumpling in Fortnite Battle Royale will have to be prepared to shell out for these new cosmetics, though. They are not part of any challenge reward list. Instead, they have been added to the Item Shop – the game’s online store – for people to purchase. The Bao Bros set itself will set you back 1,500 V-Bucks and is epic in terms of its rarity. Having been released on December 30, it’s hard to say just how long the pack will be available to buy. In terms of its contents, the pack includes four different styles – as seen in the images above – allowing owners to easily switch from character to character between matches if they wish. It also brings a brand new Bao Basket cosmetic, too, meaning you can carry around a fresh load of dumplings on your back as well. With this new set fresh on the market and certainly a hot topic among the game’s online community, it’s unlikely that Epic will remove it from the store any time soon. However, those wanting to make sure they secure the styles before the window of opportunity closes might want to act fast. As we’ve seen with other bundles in the past, once they’re gone, it does take a while to see them reappear in the Item Shop.

Tee Locations and Tips for Completing the Week Five ‘Hit a Golf Ball’ Challenge in Fortnite – Dexerto
Tee Locations and Tips for Completing the Week Five ‘Hit a Golf Ball’ Challenge in Fortnite Polygon / SoftonicThe Fortnite challenges for Week 5 of Season 5 were officially released on August 9, and one of them requires hitting a golf ball to complete. The challenge reads “Hit a golf ball from tee to green on different holes,” and it provides 500 Season XP. In order to complete this challenge, you must own the Season 5 Battle Pass and have it leveled up to Tier 27, which is when the golf ball toy emote is unlocked. The challenge must be completed at the new ‘Lazy Links’ location, which is the only POI on the map that has golf courses. Here are the exact locations for all of the tee boxes from where a golf ball can be hit to complete this challenge. In order to hit a golf ball for a longer distance, just tilt your aim higher when completing the action of the emote. The higher you look, the farther the golf ball will travel in the air. Getting the golf ball onto a green can take a few tries at first, but once you determine the best angle to hit at, the challenge should not take long to complete. IGN has provided a video breaking down the best ways to go about completing this challenge. The golf ball challenge is the third one in Fortnite that has involved the use of sporting equipment, joining the soccer ball and basketball challenges from previous weeks. If you are struggling with any of the other challenges, make sure to check out this week’s ‘cheat sheet‘, or individual guides below:

Locations of All The Rifts in Fortnite Battle Royale for Week 5 Challenges, Season 5 – Dexerto
Locations of All The Rifts in Fortnite Battle Royale for Week 5 Challenges, Season 5 A new set of challenges is live in Fortnite for Week 5, including one which tasks you with using three Rift’s on the map. This should be a fairly straight forward task, but because the Rifts are spread across various locations and don’t always spawn in the same place, a quick guide will help speed up the process. Rift Portals are brand new items on the Fortnite map for Season 5, related to the rocket launch and cracks in the sky that made for the transition from season 4 to 5. They look like floating cracks of glass essentially, but if you approach them, it will launch you high up into the Fortnite sky and send you falling back down again. They’re not consistently in the same place, but they have very regular spawn points. So if you visit these zones marked on the map, you should have no trouble finding and entering three rifts. The other thing to bear in mind, is that while it would be fast to immediately leave the game after you have entered the rift, it may cause you to lose your challenge progress. So stay in the game until you are eliminated or win the game. If you are struggling with any of the other challenges, make sure to check out this week’s ‘cheat sheet‘, or individual guides below:

Lobbies in Fortnite’s Floor is Lava LTM are a “sweaty” mess – Dexerto
Lobbies in Fortnite’s Floor is Lava LTM are a “sweaty” mess Epic GamesThe Floor is Lava is a returning game mode that encourages players to survive the map with lava spreading all over it, but so far, some players have claimed that they’re unable to enjoy the game due to “sweaty” players. One of Fortnite’s iconic characters, Midas, has returned to Fortnite, bringing a new limited-time game mode called Floor is Lava, new weapons, items, and so much more. This mode still pits players in a Battle Royale setting, where the ones who survive the longest and outlast enemies will win the game. The only difference here is that there’s lava spreading all across the map, and players will have to use their decision-making and building skills to avoid it as much as possible. However, even though the mode has recently become available, some players have already expressed frustration regarding it. “Why tf is the Floor is Lava LTM so sweaty?” asked one player in a Reddit thread. They explained: “First match I play, I die almost as soon as I land by a superhero skin. This proceeded to happen the rest of the matches I play. I’m not one to complain usually, but this is just ridiculous.” Regarding this take, other players quickly jumped into the thread, with most agreeing with the OP. The discussion ultimately led to some of them sharing a similar experience of getting matched with “sweats,” or players who would go all their way to win. “First match my team was all headshotted by a team of Midas (each a different skin) within 3 minutes of landing. I know I’m not good at the game, but is it asking too much to be placed with other not good people?” replied one user. Another user claimed that the Floor is Lava LTM lobbies are the sweatiest in their Fortnite history. “I had someone follow me through 2 rifts just to kill me because I guess they were mad I dared try to shoot at them or something and literally every single player seems to be an expert at building.” Currently, Floor is Lava is only available with build enabled, encouraging players to build structures around the lava in a squad. And because of this, some players are convinced that the lobbies feel sweaty due to the party limitations lowering the skill-based matchmaking (SBMM).

Liverpool FC CEO reveals why Premier League teams should be afraid of Fortnite – Dexerto
Liverpool FC CEO reveals why Premier League teams should be afraid of Fortnite Epic Games / Tobias BarkskogLiverpool FC’s CEO Peter Moore has expressed his fears about millennials growing up playing video games like Fortnite, instead of soccer. Moore has worked in high profile posts at SEGA, Microsoft and Electronic Arts in the past, but now says that the rise of gaming is a cause for concern. During an interview with Arabian Business Magazine, as reported by SportsPro, the Liverpool chief shed light on the reasons why soccer teams are now having to compete with video games in terms of content, but also how gaming’s popularity could be a detriment to the sport’s following – in the long term. Moore explained his position, stating: “We are an industry that needs to harness technology to make sure we don’t miss an entire generation of young people growing up that don’t have that love for football. He added: “We need to package content in bites of 60 to 90 seconds to keep their engagement.” Using the success of Epic Games’ free-to-play game as an example, he explained how not only are Liverpool competing with other teams in England and across Europe, but potentially against a change in popular culture too. “If we don’t build technological prowess as a club we will lose [millennial male viewers],” the CEO of the current Premier League leaders said. “There’s so much pressure on time now and only 24 hours in a day… there are only so many hours to play Fortnite.” Many people believe that Fortnite’s popularity stems from it being, firstly, free-to-play for anybody and, secondly, that the game can be played on all platforms as well. The amount of time people spend playing video games is not just a challenge for the here and now, though, and Moore is clearly quite fearful of the implications in the long run as well. “90 minutes is a long time for a millennial male to sit down on a couch,” Moore added. “When I look at viewing and attendance figures of millennial males, I’m concerned as a chief executive of a football club that relies on the next generation of fans coming through.”

Llambro Fortnite Crew skin confirmed: first look, release date, more – Dexerto
Llambro Fortnite Crew skin confirmed: first look, release date, more Epic GamesA new Fortnite leak has apparently revealed the Crew bundle coming in March, and it includes a new skin based on one of the battle royale’s most famous characters. Since day one, Fortnite’s Llamas have been some of the most popular figures in the game, and not just because they bless you with great loot if you’re lucky enough to find one during a match, though that is a major factor. Soon, they’ll be appearing much more often in matches as a brand-new crew skin that, according to recent leaks and a teaser from Epic, should be arriving in March. On February 21, the official Fortnite account tweeted out a teaser image with a dictionary-like description for “Llegend”, describing it as “someone you can always count on. A Llambro.” With the Fortnite Crew logo pasted in the bottom right corner, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this was somehow related to the new content pack coming for Fortnite’s premium subscription service next month. Sure enough, shortly after the tweet went out, leaks began to emerge about what would be included. First look at leaked Legendary Llama skin in Fortnite There have been plenty of convincing Llama skin concepts floating around the internet, but it seems we’ve now finally got our first look at the actual Llambro skin that will appear in March’s Fortnite Crew bundle. Prominent Fortnite leaker Max aka @FNLeaksAndInfo shared a leaked image of March’s Crew pack, which features the rainbow-colored Llambro skin as well as various cosmetics including a pickaxe and a weapon skin. https://twitter.com/FNLeaksAndInfo/status/1363831165371641859 Llambro Fortnite Crew skin release date As far as when the new cosmetics will be available, new Crew content usually comes out on the last day of the month, so Sunday, February 28, 2021, could be when we see the Llambro and other items show up. How to unlock the pack is extremely simple, as long as you don’t mind paying the monthly fee. All you need to do is sign up, and you’ll receive the current month’s Crew Pack immediately upon your subscription, and every new pack at the beginning of each month while you’re an active member. Literal bots are coming in Fortnite Season 11 – Dexerto
Literal bots are coming in Fortnite Season 11 Epic GamesEpic Games confirmed on September 23 that bots will be coming to Fortnite starting in Season 11, explaining how it’ll help matchmaking for players. As Season 10 winds down fans are turning their attention towards what Fortnite has in store for Season 11. Fortnite Season 10 has been arguably the most controversial season of all-time due to the implementation of the mechs, but Epic stood their ground and kept them in the game despite all the complaints. Now it appears that Epic will be making another change that will be sure to cause some chatter in the community. Epic confirmed that bots will be added into regular game modes beginning with the next season, and explained this is being done to improve matchmaking for all players, especially those who are newer. As players continue to get better, they will face fewer bots as they’ll eventually be switched out with real players, much like how the game currently operates. If you’re a new player in Fortnite, you’re well behind the curve in terms of skill as pretty much every long-time player knows the game inside and out so you’re at a huge disadvantage, especially if you’re not a particularly great builder. Building on that, beginning in v10.40, a new matchmaking system is being implemented that will help players get games against players closer to their skill level. Epic explains this is a work-in-progress so keep that in mind if he doesn’t work exactly how you expect it to. Bots will help ease those new players in as they’ll play close to their skill level and give them a chance to learn the core mechanics of the game. Epic explains they will behave as normal players so, in an ideal world, you won’t even know the difference. Adding bots into a battle royale title isn’t a foreign concept as PUBG Mobile did the same thing for new players as they eased into the swing of things. For those who are concerned about how this will affect Fortnite competitively, there’s no need to worry as they will not appear in competitive formats. Season 11 still doesn’t have a concrete start time but we do know Season 10 concludes October 6 so it won’t be that far off from there.

List of Highest Earning Competitive Fortnite Players and Orgs After Summer Skirmish Week 8 Tournament – Dexerto
List of Highest Earning Competitive Fortnite Players and Orgs After Summer Skirmish Week 8 Tournament With the eight and final tournament of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish competition series now in the books, it’s time to take a look at the players and organizations with the highest total earnings. A Reddit user named ‘TopKoalityContent’ has posted a graphic showing the top 26 most winningest players in term of earnings, updated to include the recent $1.5 million Week Eight Summer Skirmish tournament that was held at PAX West. As expected, the list is littered with some of the biggest names from the competitive Fortnite scene, the majority of whom placed well at this past weekend’s tournament. The most noteworthy thing about the list that jumps out right away is the fact that all four members (POACH, Vivid, 72hrs, Chap) of Team Liquid’s main pro team are included in the top 10, with a combined earnings of over $720,000. A large chunk of both POACH’s and 72hrs’ earnings came on the virtue of placing high in Week 8 of the Summer Skirmish, with POACH taking home $135,000 (third) and 72hrs earning $52,500 (7th). FaZe Clan are also well represented on the list, with ‘Nate Hill,’ ‘Cloak,’ and ‘Tfue,’ all making it into the top-15. Nate Hill placed fourth at the Week 8 Skirmish, taking home a massive $120,000 payday. Some other names of note on the list include ‘Morgausse’ and Ghost Gaming pro ‘Bizzle,’ who placed first and second at the event, earning $250,000 and $205,000 respectively. Both Morgausse and eighth place ‘IDropz_Bodies’ managed to win the only Summer Skirmish tournament they were able to participate in, the winnings from which make up their entire earnings.

Team Liquid pro Vivid proves why he’s among the best with crazy killing spree in Fortnite scrim – Dexerto
Team Liquid pro Vivid proves why he’s among the best with crazy killing spree in Fortnite scrim Team Liquid pro Fortnite player Vivid showed once again why he’s considered one of the best Fortnite players in the world with a crazy 4 player kill streak in a scrim match on his Twitch stream. Vivid paired up with Chap, another Team Liquid Fortnite pro, for a Duos scrim match in a lobby stacked with some of the best players in the world. Entering the end-game stage of the match, with only 16 opponents remaining, Vivid found himself in a late game safe zone circle with 12 health remaining and no shields. Vivid’s ability to survive at low health is impressive. After going into the circle with only 12 health, and eventually falling as low as 2 hp, he engages his last two opponents at full health and with substantial shields. Only the best players can make the late game situations like this look easy while racking up multiple kills, and this clip is another example of why Vivid is considered among the highest tier. It has been plays like these that have turned Vivid from a relative unknown to one of the most recognizable names in competitive Fortnite. After dominated Epic Games’ Summer Skirmish competition series over the past two months, he suddenly became one of the most in-demand free agents, eventually choosing to sign with Team Liquid’s strong roster. Vivid will represent Liquid in the upcoming Fall Skirmish series, in which $10 million in prizes will be awarded over the course of six weeks. More details and info about this upcoming Skirmish can be seen here.

List of Fortnite bugs and issues expected to be fixed in upcoming v6.10 update – Dexerto
List of Fortnite bugs and issues expected to be fixed in upcoming v6.10 update Epic Games have disclosed a list of the bugs currently in Fortnite Battle Royale that are expected to be fixed in the upcoming v6.10 update. Three bugs have been specially marked as ‘fixed in next release’ on the Fortnite community Trello page, which is where all of the top user-reported issues are displayed. This means that the fixes for these three bugs have been discovered, and will likely be implemented into the game once the next patch goes live. Unrendered Starter Island may appear during the loading screen – While loading in, players may notice an unrendered version of the Starter Island appear for a short time, then be replaced with the loading screen again until the map fully renders. – Audio for player eliminations is the same audio used for rotating structures – When a player is eliminated the audio used matches the audio used for rotating structures while in build mode. This can cause “strange” sounds to be heard when multiple players are being eliminated. – Floating Island appears in the wrong location on mini-map – The floating island is not appearing in the correct location on the minimap. – The fixes will be implemented via the v6.10 update, which goes live on October 16 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 8 AM BT. For more details about the update, and what else to expect in it, visit our information article here. In addition to the three bugs mentioned above, there are eight other glitches and issues that are currently in the game and have been officially acknowledged by Epic. Liquid Poach and Vivid respond to game-breaking Fortnite bug in hilarious fashion – Dexerto
Liquid Poach and Vivid respond to game-breaking Fortnite bug in hilarious fashion Team Liquid/Epic GamesTeam Liquid’s Fortnite pros Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve and Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright made the best of a bad situation after running into a game-breaking bug during a tense late-game situation. The pair were streaming their action on February 24 as they bounced from game to game looking to pick up wins in Fortnite. However, they were denied one chance at victory when Poach was unable to pull the triggers of his weapons despite being alone and surrounded by a swarm of foes while Vivid wrecked enemies elsewhere. Despite having his crosshair placed over an enemy, and having plenty of ammo in his pocket, the Team Liquid pro found himself unable to shoot at opponents because of some sort of bug or lag. He quickly decided to pivot and mimic the sounds of a firing weapon instead of actually shooting. He shouted: “Can’t shoot! Die, die, die, die,” to the tune of how the Heavy Rifle would sound if he had been able to pop off at enemies. The duos misfortunes didn’t end there as Poach continued to run into enemies without having the ability to fire his weapons. However, he and Vivid decided to put a hilarious twist on things by calling out what they would normally say if they had the ability to shoot enemies. Yet, the hilarity didn’t stop the situation angering Poach as he screamed out: “This game is trash! It’s so bad!” before discovering he also couldn’t use his pickaxe. After escaping an even smaller zone, Poach regained his ability to shoot but it was too late as he was downed by an enemy and quickly eliminated. “Do you know many people I just killed guys? I killed so many. I killed at least four people on that rotate,” Poach jokingly pointed out – despite the fact he hadn’t been able to kill anyone. The rage-inducing bug has been around for a while and still plagues players every so often – as demonstrated in the Team Liquid duo’s games. However, it’s refreshing to see someone making the most of it instead of smashing up their keyboard in a fit of rage.

Liquid Chap reveals what he wants added to competitive Fortnite in 2020 – Dexerto
Liquid Chap reveals what he wants added to competitive Fortnite in 2020 Team Liquid Fortnite pro Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo revealed a long list of things he wants added into competitive Fortnite throughout 2020. Fortnite is a game that has the ability to change massively from week to week, and oftentimes it’s a change that the community isn’t happy with. The frequency of updates has slowed down significantly as we moved in Chapter 2, but there are still plenty of players who get scared whenever new items are added into the game. While many would agree that Fortnite Chapter 2 has put the game into a much better state than it has been in many seasons. Liquid Chap revealed a list of many things he wants to see in the game in 2020, and many of them sound like they’d be pretty doable. The first thing he mentions is a FOV slider, which has been a hot topic of debate for months now. Players used to find a way around this by playing with a stretched resolution, but Epic Games removed the ability to do that. Read More: Fortnite players want lightsabers removed – Another thing he mentions is a Trios format in the World Cup and FNCS. The first World Cup allowed players to qualify as a solo or duo, so bumping that up to squads of three would be an interesting change. As for the FNCS, Trios hasn’t been a format as of yet, so that would also be exciting to see for many players interested in the competitive scene. While those things mostly refer to comp, there’s one other thing he’d like to see back, and we’re sure everyone else will agree – patch notes. PLS Fortnite 2020 FOV Slider Trios Worldcup/FNCS format qualifiers 2 Slot RPG/Sniper + quads + shield bubble + splashes +infantry 2 stack MAX flopper/slurpfish PC Building/Editing sens put slurp barrels at EVERY POI custom crosshairs disable pre edits OPTION +patch notes— Chap (@ChapFN) January 6, 2020 For whatever reason, Epic decided to abandon consistent patch notes whenever they released an update. This caused players to create their own, but there wasn’t really a way to know with absolute certainty what was changed. The developers do release notes for some of the updates, but it is strange to see them not do it for every update. Chap gave Epic a long laundry list of things to do in 2020, so let’s see what they can deliver on throughout the year.

Liquid Poach criticizes “shocking” Fortnite World Cup prize pool breakdown – Dexerto
Liquid Poach criticizes “shocking” Fortnite World Cup prize pool breakdown The Fortnite World Cup has finally arrived – with $30m on offer in prize money – but Team Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve is less than impressed with how the earnings are distributed. After ten weeks of intense online qualifiers all around the world, the best Fortnite players have travelled to New York City to compete for one of the largest prize pools in esports history. The winner of the solo event will guarantee themselves $3 million in earnings, meaning they could shoot straight to the top of the list of all-time highest Fortnite earners, but popular pro player Poach isn’t pleased with how Epic Games are distributing the cash. Despite becoming a notable name to miss out on qualification, Poach travelled to New York to support his Liquid teammate Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright, but poked fun at the prize pool breakdown for the duo event. Poach took issue with the fact that the team who finishes in 11 place will earn the same amount of money ($50,000) as the team that finishes dead last. Whereas the team that finishes one place higher in 10, will win $225,000 – an increase of $125,000 for just one position in the standings. Imagine placing 11th today and getting the same prize money as dead last OMEGALUL — Jake @ NYC (@Poach) July 27, 2019 The 20-year-old said: “Imagine placing 11 today and getting the same prize pool as dead last OMEGALUL.” He continued his complaint, stating that it was “shocking” that a player could not even participate during the event, yet still take home the same amount of money as someone who tried their very best to finish highly. “All I’m saying is how shocking it is that someone could AFK (away from keyboard) all 6 games and they could take the same prize as a team that worked their ass off and placed right outside the top 10,” he added. All I’m saying is how shocking it is that someone could AFK all 6 games and they could take the same prize as a team that worked their ass off and placed right outside the top 10 — Jake @ NYC (@Poach) July 27, 2019 Even with the prize pool breakdown criticism, some players at the Fortnite World Cup will still be earning more money than some pros who have competed in well established esports such as CS:GO or Dota2 for a number of years. With Epic Games pledging at least $100m to their competitive scene, only $40m of which was spent on the event in New York, expect to see even more huge prize pools on offer in future tournaments.

Liquid Chap reveals what item is the “biggest joke” in competitive Fortnite – Dexerto
Liquid Chap reveals what item is the “biggest joke” in competitive Fortnite Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo has revealed which item he feels has no place in competitive Fortnite, pleading with Epic Games to address the issue as soon as possible. Chap is well known as one of the top Fortnite players on the planet, ranking #11 in the list of all-time earners, thanks to tournament victories in the Fall and Summer Skirmishes in 2018. However, the 24-year-old has struggled to adapt to the latest meta, becoming a notable name to miss out on World Cup qualification despite switching up his duo partner to team with Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve instead of Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan. Lately, the focus has been on trios, with Chap finding a new team to play with; World Cup qualified Tempo Storm members Chris ‘CizLucky’ Perez and Craig ‘Brush’ Hechmer. Despite performing well as a team, Chap vented his frustrations with the current Fortnite meta on Twitter, revealing which weapon had no place in competitive Fortnite. Following the single-day trios tournament, the popular Twitch streamer pleaded with Epic Games to make changes to the Heavy Sniper Rifle – which is currently available in Epic and Legendary variants. As the weapon is capable of destroying walls instantly, it is commonly used among teams, with one player shooting the wall to allow their teammate to snipe the enemy behind it. Double heavy is the biggest joke in competitive…. How have you guys not addressed this yet @FortniteGame ???? — Chap (@LiquidChap) July 22, 2019 Chap said: “Double heavy (sniper) is the biggest joke in competitive. How have you guys not addressed this yet @FortniteGame?” In response to his tweet, he was accused of being a “baby” over his complaints – but Chap showed no remorse, taking shots at the aspiring YouTuber’s current sub count as well as labeling him as “a fucking idiot”. your a fucking idiot and there’s a reason you have 25 subs on youtube — Chap (@LiquidChap) July 22, 2019 In the past, Epic Games have maintained that the heavy sniper will not be nerfed after players complained that the weapon’s 150 body damage was slightly too high. However, with some players still unhappy with the way the item currently works, we may see a change for Season 10 – which is set to kick off on August 1.

Liquid Chap explains why console players are “f**ked” for Fortnite World Cup – Dexerto
Liquid Chap explains why console players are “f**ked” for Fortnite World Cup Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo believes that console players won’t be able to qualify for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup, explaining that PC players have too many advantages compared to their controller-wielding counterparts. What is the Fortnite World Cup? The Fortnite World Cup is the biggest event that Epic Games have ever staged, pitting the best players from around the world against each other to win their share of a $30 million prize pool. Unlike previous tournaments such as the Skirmish events, the age requirement has been lowered to 13 with parental permission, meaning new players who have never had to chance to express their talents before could finally make their breakthrough on the professional scene. Liquid Chap feels console players have ‘no shot’ at qualification Chap will be competing in the solo tournament and duo event alongside Liquid team-mate Jake ‘POACH’ Brumleve but had some choice words for players on console looking to earn a qualification spot. “If you’re on console, you’re not qualifying for Worlds,” Chap shouted. “When has a console player even placed in a top 100 in a qualifier – they’re not going to qualify – get it out of your brain!” Twitch viewers in chat pointed to the success of Ghost Gaming’s controller player, Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad, but Chap was quick to point out he plays on a PC. Chap feels that console players simply lack the hardware to compete with the top keyboard and mouse players. He said: “You play on 30 FPS with shadows and motion blur on and you think you can compete?!” The 24-year-old feels that console players shouldn’t be angry about being at a disadvantage and must buy a PC to be taken seriously. “You’re fucked – just give it up,” he said. “Don’t get mad because a PC player has an advantage, buy a fucking computer or shut up, that’s just the way of the road.” Indeed, console players are held back by the capabilities of their hardware, but Epic Games have recently introduced a ban on stretched resolution to help bridge the gap to PC players. Nevertheless, it would be extremely surprising to see an Xbox or PS4 displace one of the top performing pro players in the World Cup qualifiers. When is the Fortnite World Cup? Qualifiers for the biggest esport tournament in history start on April 13 and run until June 13 with $1 million on offer during each of the qualifying events. The grand finals will take place in New York on July 26-28 where top players from around the globe will compete for their share of $30 million in a solo and duo event.

Liquid 72hrs finally reveals why he left FaZe Clan’s Fortnite team – Dexerto
Liquid 72hrs finally reveals why he left FaZe Clan’s Fortnite team Popular Fortnite professional and streamer, Tom ‘72hrs’ Mulligan, has lifted the lid on his decision to swap FaZe Clan for Team Liquid. Mulligan is widely regarded as one of North America’s top pros and most entertaining streamers currently competing in Fortnite. His excellent performances in the Skirmish events place him at #6 on the all-time highest earners list with $312,450 won in prize money thus far. However, unlike his Liquid team-mates Chap, Poach and Vivid, his breakthrough into the pro scene didn’t come with his current organization. 72hrs started his Fortnite career with FaZe Clan back in March 2018 after being recruited by FaZe Cloakzy. With the game still in its infancy, there were no tournaments to compete in. However, in June 2018, the 24-year-old was released from the team before joining Team Liquid. During an ask-me-anything session on Reddit, Mulligan finally delved into the details behind his departure. “Before I left FaZe, Cloak and I weren’t nearly as close as I would say we’re are now,” 72hrs explained. “But yeah, it did. I would say we have a really good friendship now and I consider one of him my best friends.” “But back in the day, I didn’t really feel like I belonged, and the team synergy felt really off with Cloak, Spacelyon, Jaomock, and I. So between the rifts among the team and our performances, it felt like the right decision in my gut. I felt like Chap, Strafesh0t, and Poach were really great players that I knew I got along with.” 72hrs described that the decision wasn’t easy but holds no grudges with FaZe or Cloak. “I did what I thought was best for me. I don’t have any issues or bad blood with FaZe or Cloak. They’re a great org and I’m very grateful they let me do what I thought was best for me at the time,” Mulligan added. The former Dead by Daylight streamer also opened up on challenges he faced mentally in the wake of leaving one of the world’s most popular orgs. 72hrs said: “It was a rough time for me mentally during this time. Just a lot of uncertainty of the future for the game and my career. A lot of disparaging comments were thrown my way by the public while I was just offline grinding Fortnite.”

Lil Nas X in Fortnite? Fan-made ICON Series skin gets artist’s approval – Dexerto
Lil Nas X in Fortnite? Fan-made ICON Series skin gets artist’s approval Lil Nas X / Epic GamesLil Nas X is coming off huge hits like ‘Industry Baby’ & ‘Montero,’ but a popular concept would make him an even bigger force… in Fortnite with an ICON Series skin of his very own. The rising talent has made his impression on Billboard’s Hot 100 and streaming charts for years, and his meme game on the internet has been nothing short of legendary. The gaming community has gotten to know Lil Nas X over the years thanks to events like his Roblox concert and the like. There’s plenty of Fortnite fans familiar with the artist at this point, and plenty that wouldn’t mind seeing a skin in his honor. It goes without saying that the Fortnite community can get really creative when campaigning for content they want in the game, and this time’s no different. Individual Full Renders: – Industry Baby Style ⛓️ – Inferno Style 🔥 pic.twitter.com/uOO6WkTfFG— D3NNI (@D3NNI_yt) July 27, 2021 An artist who goes by ‘D3NNI_YT’ put his suggestion in for the next Fortnite ICON Series skin that has Lil Nas X featured in two distinct themes from his popular music videos. “Really wanted to make a skin concept of Lil Nas X if he joined Fortnite’s Icon Series! Hope you like it,” they said. The ‘Industry Baby Style’ immaculately shows the artist in a similar pink uniform seen in the alternate reality for his takeover of Montero State Prison. Read more: How to watch Fortnite Ariana Grande concert – Meanwhile, the ‘Inferno Style’ shows the artist in the same outfit that he wore during his Saturday Night Live performance where he performed ‘Montero.’ The quality of the concept already looks Fortnite-ready, and it would be a really popular figure to have in the battle royale. Even Lil Nas X himself was liking the idea of being in Epic Games’ popular metaverse, shouting out the designs on his Instagram and TikTok. So far, popular streamers like Ninja, Loserfruit, Lachlan, Lazarbeam, TheGrefg, and the new Bugha have graced the ICON Series. Thematically, Lil Nas X would be a stretch for the ICON Series. But Epic are apparently considering collaborations with people like Charli D’Amelio, so hopefully this means a standalone skin for him won’t be far off either.

Liquid 72hrs leaves Cloak and NICKMERCS stunned with insane Fortnite shadow movement – Dexerto
Liquid 72hrs leaves Cloak and NICKMERCS stunned with insane Fortnite shadow movement Team Liquid’s Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan is considered one of the very best Fortnite players in the world, but his skills with a Shadow Bomb were still able to leave some of his fellow pro players stunned. Despite narrowly missing out on qualification for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup, 72hrs remains one of the top players in the game, ranking #6 in the list of all-time top earners thanks to his past tournament performances. In the latest competition hosted by Epic, the single-day trios tournament, the Team Liquid member showcased the perfect way to use the Shadow Bomb item in a competitive environment. Added at the end of Season 8, Shadow Bombs quickly became one of the most sought-after items in Fortnite tournaments, allowing players to rotate in shadow form, meaning they are less likely to take damage from enemies. Available in a stack of six, players also have the ability to double jump off walls and move much quicker with the effects not wearing off until the character hits the ground – something which 72hrs was able to take full advantage of. As the first moving Storm Circle closed in – with 37 players still alive – the 25-year-old used his item to safely navigate the mountain outside of Snobby Shores, showcasing some ridiculous movement to avoid hitting the ground and losing the effect. After staying in shadow form for an extended period of time, 72hrs was able to save some valuable materials and secure a supply drop to boost his chances of placing well. He posted the incredible clip to Twitter and many of his fellow pro players couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. FaZe Clan’s Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff responded with a simple “Ok” while TwitchCon winner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore simply stated “What the fuck”. YouTube star Avery ‘Avxry’ Lopriore was also left baffled the clip, questioning “how” 72hrs pulled off the move. In one of the most stacked tournaments to date, with the majority of pro players from EU currently residing in NA for the Fortnite World Cup, 72hrs was able to finish in the money at 42 place alongside Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright and Dylan ‘Dmo’ Moore. Topping the table for the NA-East region was Sentinel’s trio Owen ‘Animal’ Wright, Nick ‘Aspect’ McGuire and Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf who were earmarked as a team to watch when trios was first announced.

LG’s ‘SypherPK’ Proposes Ways on How Fortnite Can Be Improved – Dexerto
LG’s ‘SypherPK’ Proposes Ways on How Fortnite Can Be Improved YT: HaertnysDespite it’s immense popularity, not every aspect of Fortnite Battle Royale is universally accepted and liked among the game’s vast player-base. It’s in-game mechanics, weapon balancing and functionality, and other details are often at the center of discussion and debate, with many players often throwing in their suggestions, concepts, and ideas on how Fortnite can be improved. One such players is popular streamer ‘SypherPK,’ who is considered by many to be one of the top strategic minds in the Fortnite community. Sypher, who creates content as a member of Luminosity Gaming, has proposed several ways that the game can be improved from its current state. Live on his stream, he broke down the details of his proposal, which is made up of three parts: “I would lower the maximum amount of materials you can carry, I would bring that down to 600-700. But then I would increase the amount of materials you gain exponentially to where you can reach that max level faster. And then, I would make ARs, just in general, I would buff the accuracy across the board for a lot of guns. I wouldn’t completely remove ‘bloom’ because I don’t know how recoil would work in this game, and I don’t know how bullet travel would work on ARs. But I would definitely reduce bloom a little bit more. And also, I would make first shot accuracy pop out on your first show. As soon I stop moving, I should be able to stop and get that first shot accuracy, and obviously you have to wait for the reset. But like, having to wait like this, is kind of annoying.” It seems that Sypher’s proposed plan would address more than two aspects of the game that are often debated by players, which are building and bloom. Putting a limit on max materials would satisfy many who believe that building has become an out of control facet of the game that is overused and relied upon too much. Meanwhile, addressing bloom will likely be well received by most in the community who continue to express displeasure at a Random Number Generator (RNG) deciding their during gunfights.

LG’s ‘SypherPK’ Shows That Weapon Switching in Fortnite is Inconsistent – Dexerto
LG’s ‘SypherPK’ Shows That Weapon Switching in Fortnite is Inconsistent Despite Fortnite’s success as a popular battle royale title, there are some inconsistencies and issues that exist within the core mechanics of the game. One of these inconsistencies has turned out to be with the weapon swapping, and how some weapons will not fire in the immediate moments after a player switches to them. Luminosity Gaming content creator ‘SypherPK’ decided to test out this issue while live-streaming the game on August 14. While holding the firing button, he began switching back and forth between an Uncommon Suppressed SMG and a Common AR to see if one of the weapons will indeed stop shooting at one point. “The first test is im going to hold down left click the entire time and I’m just going to swap between my SMG and AR. So, hold down left click… Oh, that’s so weird! How come it stopped shooting the SMG after like a few swaps? Then it stopped shooting the AR right there, look. I’m pressing down and it’s not shooting. It’s not consistent, you see? […]” As can be seen in the clip above, after a few times of switching between the two weapons, the SMG did at one point stop firing and Sypher had to press the shoot button again to get it to fire. In a subsequent test, it was the AR that was not shooting, despite the fact that the button was being pressed and never let go. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of this issue is the fact that the amount of swaps that it takes before one of the weapons stops firing is also inconsistent. This means that players can not adapt to the bug in the game because no one knows at which point their weapon will stop firing after being switched to.

LG’s SypherPK has one reason why Fortnite is better without Glider Redeploy – Dexerto
LG’s SypherPK has one reason why Fortnite is better without Glider Redeploy The decision to firstly add and then later disable the glider redeploy mechanic in Fortnite has caused a stir in the community, but SypherPK is on the side which says the game is better without it. Originally, players could only deploy their glider at the start of a match when dropping into the map, but after the ‘Soaring’ LTM tested out glider redeploy being allowed when jumping from a certain height, Epic Games decided to add the feature to all modes. Many players were vocally against the change, primarily because it made it too easy for opponents to escape fights by simply skydiving from their builds, but some felt the feature improved the speed and fluidity of the gameplay. Luminosity player and popular streamer Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan has made clear which side of the debate he was on, now that glider redeploy has been disabled in standard modes. While in an engagement with an enemy who had built extremely high above him, SypherPK simply shot down his opponents build, sending them soaring down to their demise from fall damage. “I miss that so much. This one thing is making me not want redeploy to come back – killing players like that,” he said, as he collects his opponents loot, “they think they’re so good because they know how to build […] and then that’s all they know how to do. Being able to knock these guys and get some easy kills – I don’t know if I can give that up.” It sounds like SypherPK is taking a more balanced approach, realizing the benefits of glider redeploy for gameplay, but also pointing on the downsides. For players who do prefer glider redeploy, it is still active in the Playground mode and in various LTM’s, however the Skydiving ability has been removed as of the v6.30 update. Another top Fortnite player and streamer, Dakotaz, was in agreement with SypherPK, listing the removal of glider redeploy atop his priorities to improve Fortnite.

LG SypherPK has an interesting idea to improve Fortnite’s editing – Dexerto
LG SypherPK has an interesting idea to improve Fortnite’s editing Editing in Fortnite is the high-level skill that separates great builders from good ones, but some issues with editing can make it frustrating to change builds. When trying to edit quickly, especially with high ping or latency, players have found that they fire off random shots or struggle to open editing altogether. That’s because, opening editing and confirming the edit are the same button, which makes it a bit too easy to make mistakes, especially in a heated battle when most edits are used. Luminosity Gaming’s SypherPK has a solution. Read More: Ninja reveals brand new Galaxy Fortnite back-bling, pickax, and glider set live on stream – Instead of hitting the same button twice to open and close the editing of a building, have a player hold down the button to stay in editing, make their edits, then release the button to confirm the edit. Pls @FortniteGame make editing great again :skin-tone-2: pic.twitter.com/6XaMjIjIyR — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) October 30, 2018 This fairly simple solution could be a nice quality of life improvement, especially as pro players continue to increase the speed of their builds. This solution would most benefit people with high ping, basically the entire middle of North America where servers are often spotty. That delay in the high ping situations makes editing so inconsistent that the risk isn’t worth it in many situations. Utilizing hold and release would make editing more consistent, and could easily be toggled on and off in the settings.

LEGO Fortnite’s players are already quitting over build limits – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite’s players are already quitting over build limits Reddit: Mogami_MGAPlayers are already beginning to leave LEGO Fortnite after reaching building limits within the game. LEGO Fortnite was a massive success when it launched on December 7 as one of three new game modes. The Minecraft-style survival mode had players exploring new biomes and building villages. Taking inspiration from LEGO, the original premise of the game was to allow players to build to their heart’s content. This has become obvious with creative builds like the Breaking Bad trailer, Marvel’s Avengers Tower, and more. However, people with grand ideas of building large castles with highly decorated insides are beginning to notice one big problem – building limits. These limits are not driving away its player base, who need more things to do within the game. LEGO Fortnite build limits seem to tell players to ‘stop playing’’ One Reddit user posted an image of their constructed Shogun castle in LEGO Fortnite, which was put on hold due to building limits. The building limits in LEGO Fortnite are unknown, as some players have reported that the error is ‘inconsistent’ among different builds. “I made a big chunky castle with almost 30 rooms with interior,” the user said. “The plan was to build a town around it, but then I encountered what is probably one of the biggest disgraces I’ve encountered in video games ever. It turns out the game can’t do the very thing it was created to do – building.” Other commenters echoed the sentiments of the original poster, saying that they have also stopped playing the game due to building limits. But after almost a month of being live, LEGO Fortnite developers have yet to announce plans to change the build limit. “Build limit is very discouraging,” said one commenter. “Every time I think about building a big structure, I get disappointed because I probably can’t actually make it. I hope they find a way to allow an infinite build limit.” Outside of changes to item stack limits and other minor adjustments, LEGO Fortnite has not added any new content to the game since its release.

Lethal Company Fortnite skin concept would be an “instant cop” if released – Dexerto
Lethal Company Fortnite skin concept would be an “instant cop” if released X/ZeekersFortnite players are going wild over a Lethal Company skin concept they believe would be an “instant cop” if released. Collaborations between famous pop culture franchises and Fortnite have long been a hit, allowing players to enjoy the game as their beloved characters. Exciting new skins have been added to the Item Shop for the Epic Games title before, thanks to successful collabs with movies, anime, and other video games. Several of these collabs were based on classics, while others were more recent, such as those that came out with Alan Wake 2 and similar games. At present, the indie game Lethal Company has received a lot of appreciation from the gaming community and has gone viral. In response, a fan has come up with a brilliant crossover idea using a character from the game as a Fortnite skin. Here’s what it looks like and the reactions from fans of both games to the potential crossover in the future. Fans want Lethal Company Fortnite skin concept to release In a concept art video by Zeekerss, a Lethal Company Fortnite skin featuring Scavenger in an orange spacesuit and helmet was released online. The video shows the character hopping and floating like they would on the moon in Lethal Company and doing Fortnite emotes. Following the independent title’s viral success, DEVINK then shared the concept on X, where it quickly gained the attention of fans of both games who are eager to see the collaboration materialize. One such fan said, “Instant cop.” Another chimed in, “I don’t think Epic will collab with an indie. But looking forward to it!” A third fan added, “Now we just need the dance!” Given that Epic partnered with the popular indie game Among Us in the past to introduce cosmetic items based on it, and with Lethal Company currently receiving a lot of attention, a collaboration like this is not totally out of the cards.

LEGO Fortnite’s first big update in 2024 adds something no one expected – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite’s first big update in 2024 adds something no one expected FortniteLEGO Fortnite just released its first big update in 2024 by adding a feature that no one saw coming – fishing. Several leaks have revealed a mountain of new content coming to Fortnite, such as new weapons, building materials, and more. However, due to the game’s release at the beginning of December, there have been little content updates since the developers were on break. Without new content coming to the game, fans have pleaded for devs to give new life to the title… Especially with the average player count dropping from upwards of a million to just a couple hundred thousand. Before the release of the new update, LEGO Fortnite teased its release with an image of popular villager Fishstick with the caption, ‘What could be getting reeled in soon‘ – which gave an obvious hint towards what was to come. LEGO Fortnite introduces Gone Fishin’ update The latest update to LEGO Fortnite introduces the ability to craft a fishing rod, catch 15 different types of fish, and build a food processor. Different fish can be caught depending on the biome and weather conditions that the player is in. There will also be legendary versions of each fish that can be displayed in a future update. Other sea-faring items have also been added to the game to keep up with the fishing theme. Players can now craft a compass and a spyglass to help guide them on their fishing expeditions. Players have given mixed reactions to the game’s new update due to the main premise being centered on fishing. However, the additional items being added have helped the hype. “Spyglass is a huge addition for me,” said one Redditor. “While fishing will be fun, I wanted more from this update in the ways of transportation and building. But I know that’ll come eventually.” Check out the LEGO Fortnite site for the complete breakdown of the upcoming patch that releases on the evening of February 21.

LEGO Fortnite trailer reveals crafting, survival & much more coming to the game – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite trailer reveals crafting, survival & much more coming to the game Fortnite/LEGOThe LEGO Fortnite mode is among the most anticipated to be added to the Epic Games title. The mode will primarily consist of Fortnite outfits with a LEGO theme, in addition to a plethora of other content. Crafting and survival elements of the game are now demonstrated in a new trailer. Fortnite has gained significant recognition as a leading Battle Royale game and has maintained a consistent growth trajectory throughout its existence. Although Save the World and Creative failed to attract a significant number of players, the introduction of UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite), which offered more immersive islands, helped turn the tide. Now Epic Games has unveiled three additional game modes that will be present within the Fortnite ecosystem, during the Chapter 5 live event. One such mode is LEGO Fortnite, a collaboration between the two companies that features a survival adventure game mode. Now that the event’s hype has reached its peak, the official cinematic trailer for the game has been released, showcasing in all its splendor the crafting, survival, and building systems, among many others. Everything we saw in the LEGO Fortnite trailer is detailed below. LEGO Fortnite trailer reveals crafting and survival features Launching one day before the game mode’s release, the official cinematic video for LEGO Fortnite highlights the basic gameplay. To begin with, in the video, the Brite Bomber skin from Fortnite’s world managed to split away from the IO Guards and into the LEGO land. The player character, or “looper” in Fortnite lore, is then left to fend for oneself in terms of crafting resources, such as tools to farm materials or construct buildings, using items like pickaxes and hammers. With them, players can cultivate a variety of crops, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and even make friends with farm animals. While the looper constructs a complete house in the style of Fortnite, with blocks falling into position precisely, the game mode’s building mechanics appear remarkable. There will be a crafting table, campfires for healing, and the ability to battle animals like wolves in different parts of the world. Further hinting at the game’s cooperative features, the trailer depicts a town and village that a group of players are constructing together. Loopers can also construct a Battle Bus that has a ramp, hot air balloons, and thrusters as the trailer progresses, allowing them to traverse the map. Although the procedurally generated map appears enormous and magnificent, there is a lava dungeon where players can face a terrifying monster that is hell-bent on destroying your world. In-game, you can craft a wide variety of weapons, including bows and arrows, swords, pickaxes, axes, hammers, and more. LEGO Fortnite teases new animal feature and farming in upcoming update – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite teases new animal feature and farming in upcoming update Epic GamesPlayers could potentially keep wild animals and delve more into farming in the next update, based on recent clips from the official LEGO Fortnite X account. LEGO Fortnite has shared a short clip in an X post teasing what players can expect in the game’s next update. From the looks of it, local animals may soon show interest in one’s village, leading a villager to wonder if they want to live with the player. This could mean that players will finally be able to befriend animals and live with them in their base, potentially expanding the farming aspect of the game. At the time of writing, you can pet animals in the game and they’ll drop something useful for you in return. But it’s not possible to keep them inside your base, as they’ll just wander and even despawn if you venture away. If the leaks are true, it’s likely that we’ll be getting new animals in the near future, such as bears, frogs, beetles, and many more. Additionally, in another recent leak posted by well-known leaker iFireMonkey, a new consumable item called “Animal Cookies” will become available to tame creatures. Though these are all leaks that have yet to be confirmed, so do take the information with a grain of salt. Aside from animals, a separate post from the LEGO Fortnite X account uploaded a clip featuring another teaser showing a speed build of a stable. The finished build has crops nearby and a watering trough, which could indicate that you’ll likely need to take care of the animals if they live in your base. Fortnite’s v29.30 update is scheduled to kick in on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, and only time will tell what new features the game mode has in store for players.

LEGO Fortnite review: Epic’s Minecraft competitor is worth the hype – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite review: Epic’s Minecraft competitor is worth the hype LEGO Fortnite is currently one of the top survival adventure games out there with a player count that’s constantly on the rise. But is the Minecraft competitor worth the hype? Here’s our review. Since their inception, sandbox survival games have come a long way, going from being a small subgenre to a massive industry that attracts players from all over the globe. These games have evolved throughout the years in reaction to player feedback & new technology as more and more developers try to come up with a new take on the now tried-and-true formula. In the survival game category, Minecraft has been at the top since 2011. Its open world and low poly graphics make it a perfect comfort zone for players of all ages. The game revolutionized the way simulation and survival adventure games were made and introduced new levels of excitement to players. On the other hand, a new survival adventure game LEGO Fortnite has been launched, and it’s one of the first that can boast being a worthy competitor to Minecraft as something adults and younger audiences alike can enjoy. What the game promises and delivers with crisp LEGO perfection left me astounded after my time with it, even if there’s work to be done before it can reach the heights it’s truly capable of. LEGO Fortnite key details Price: Free-to-play – Developer: Epic Games, LEGO – Release Date: December 7, 2023 – Platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android, Amazon Luna, Xbox Cloud Gaming – The magic of LEGO with Fortnite’s building At the onset, LEGO Fortnite looks like a complicated game to begin with. There are many first-timers to survival games like this one who are going to have to get acquainted with the new features when they launch the mode from within Fortnite. Before LEGO Fortnite came along, people would need to purchase a survival game like Minecraft to enjoy the genre’s best. However, LEGO Fortnite is an entirely free-to-play title that guides you every step of the way. Whether it’s creating your world for the first time or building your first house, NPCs around the world will help you get started with the game. The moment you put that first block down to build a structure, you get to witness the magic of real-life LEGO bricks being used as Fortnite materials. You’ll be guided to build a structure on your own with the hologram of an actual blueprint where you can perfectly position the pieces and snap them into place. As your LEGO creation takes form, the satisfying ASMR-style sounds of the falling pieces will engulf you. Even though there are limits on resources in survival mode, the game nonetheless demands that you cultivate them. All the hallmarks of a real-life simulation game are there: your character will experience hunger, temperature, fatigue, and the constant need for supervision. You’ll also need to battle some creatures for survival including wolves, spiders, skeleton ghosts, brutes, and more. It’s not realistic, but these real-world inspired mechanics create opportunities for incredibly engaging, high-stakes gameplay. However, if you just want to forgo all the restrictions and have fun, then the Sandbox mode will keep you and your friends occupied for hours. LEGO Worlds walked so LEGO Fortnite could run Video game fans are always searching for an official LEGO game that replicates the delight of playing with their beloved blocks in a digital setting since LEGO is already the leading toymaker for people of all ages. The result was LEGO Worlds, a 2015 release from TT Games and Warner Bros. Players weren’t really into the game when it debuted in Steam’s early access test. Low poly details, frame rate issues, and an uninspiring sandbox experience were some of the user complaints. Now in 2023, LEGO teamed up with Epic Games, who took the LEGO Worlds footnotes and utilized Unreal Engine to reconstruct the entire universe. The end product is a free-to-play survival adventure game that borrows heavily from Fortnite’s features and engine without feeling like an outright copy. A lot of people think survival/sandbox games don’t belong in the market with all these amazing open-world adventures, but LEGO Fortnite disproves that theory by giving every player their very own procedurally generated area. Because of this, your open world can be explored endlessly in whatever way you like. You may party up with your fellow Fortnite players and even make them keyholders in LEGO Fortnite thanks to the integration of the multiplayer mode from LEGO Worlds. If you give someone a key, they can help build your world even when you’re not around. Another brilliant move by Epic and LEGO is that all of your Fortnite skins will now have an extra LEGO cosmetic style. Because of this, players won’t have to worry about spending any additional money on LEGO-themed accessories. A perfect survival adventure to rival Minecraft LEGO Fortnite is a towering presence in a market dominated by survival and simulation games such as Minecraft and The Sims 4. The game’s free-to-play concept is more than enough to draw in a large player base, particularly younger users who want to experiment with games that don’t demand upfront payment. While Minecraft does have its community of creative players and a plethora of servers, LEGO Fortnite has been breaking records for peak player count ever since Epic made statistics public. The new Fortnite mode has finally gotten the recognition it deserves thanks to the game’s fundamental survival principle and its limitless sandbox for creators. As a dedicated Battle Royale player who often strives for intense gaming, I frequently find solace in the sandbox mode of LEGO Fortnite, where I can immerse myself in the enchanting world of LEGO bricks. Moreover, everyone who has played LEGO Fortnite until now has almost built a monorail, a car, or perhaps a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Until the first major update, which is said to include new weapons and materials, hits the game, users are grinding and being creative with their LEGO creations, just like the brand envisions. The Verdict 4/5 Although LEGO Fortnite offers an almost flawless survival journey, it comes with its own set of shortcomings that gives Epic a scope for improvement to turn this game into the best version of itself. Since there aren’t many building plans or weapons in the game yet, players can look forward to future upgrades that will address their demands. Despite its current state of inadequacy compared to Minecraft and its lack of specific features and a roster of items, LEGO Fortnite has the potential to soon surpass Mojang’s survival game on account of its advanced game engine and numerous collaborations with popular culture brands. Regardless, it’s undeniably one of the top free-to-play survival adventure games featuring cutting-edge visuals that will hold your attention for hours upon hours. In case you were wondering, yes, you can use emotes in LEGO Fortnite, such as Floss or Orange Justice. Give it a go! Reviewed on PS5

LEGO Fortnite ‘server lifetime’ causes and solutions – Dexerto
LEGO Fortnite ‘server lifetime’ causes and solutions Epic Games/LEGOLEGO Fortnite worlds are a great way to connect with friends, but after a long gaming session, the server needs a break. Here’s everything you need to know about server lifetime, including causes and fixes. Fortnite’s new survival-based game mode has gone through turbulent waters in the last few weeks. The game was released on December 7 and crushed player count numbers. However, as time passed, players begged developers for updates and began leaving the game over build limits. However, for those who enjoy eating berries and collecting wood, here’s how to keep playing during long hours. How to fix LEGO Fortnite server lifetime An announcement in the top left-hand corner of the screen will talk about the current world’s ‘server lifetime’ after being in the world for several hours. This will be followed by a countdown of how long the server will remain active until shutting down. Typically, the counter will be around the hour to 45-minute mark when the announcement is made. While it may seem like LEGO Fortnite is putting a timer on your gameplay, the system is in place to ensure world stability. To reset the timer, all players in the world have to exit the game and go back to the lobby. Once there, the players can join the world again, resetting the timer for another few hours. This method can be repeated multiple times to reset the server’s lifetime countdown. As long as the world is refreshed by coming in and out, all players can remain in the game. Will the LEGO Fortnite server lifetime undo your progress? No, when the LEGO Fortnite server resets, you won’t lose any progress. Everything you’ve made—buildings, objects, and locations—will remain just as you left them. All you need to do is log back in when the server refreshes, and everything will be just as it was before. How to craft a Rebel Workbench in LEGO Fortnite – Dexerto
How to craft a Rebel Workbench in LEGO Fortnite Epic Games/DisneySeveral of LEGO Fortnite’s new Star Wars-themed items require players to use a Rebel Workbench; here’s how to build one. Fortnite’s v29.40 brings Star Wars‘ Rebel fighters and the Galactic Empire into the LEGO mode through a rift. To ensure the Rebellion stands a chance against its pursuers, players must help prepare a Rebel Village, a task made easier with the addition of DL-44 Blasters, Lightsabers, and Thermal Detonators. But accessing some of these tools first requires the creation of a Rebel Workbench. Since users will have to unlock the ability to craft the workbench, here’s what everyone needs to know. Crafting the Rebel Workbench in LEGO Fortnite To unlock the Rebel Workbench recipe, players have to find Plastoid and wood materials to add to their inventory. Plastoid can be picked up from defeated Stormtroopers or obtained after destroying boxes emblazoned with the Imperial logo in Empire Outposts. Meanwhile, Wood can be retrieved from the ground or farmed from trees all around the Grasslands. The recipe for the Rebel Workbench requires five Wood and eight Plastoid, so it should prove a fairly easy build overall. With the Rebel Workbench stationed and ready to go, LEGO Fortnite players will be able to build new tools such as DL-44 Blasters and Thermal Detonators.

LEGO Fortnite players “upset” over missing items from original trailer Epic GamesPlayers of LEGO Fortnite have been demanding Epic Games add in various features and items that were originally advertised in promotional images and trailers, but are yet to be added to the game. LEGO Fortnite made quite an impact when it finally dropped into the game to help Fortnite shatter its overall player count records. Despite it having dropped slightly in popularity in comparison to the main Battle Royale and Ranked mode since release, its player count numbers have still proved significantly strong. However, some players of the Fortnite mode have been left “upset” with the lack of a range of items and features in the game that were originally shown in the promotional trailers and images. LEGO Fortnite players demand Epic Games adds missing items LEGO Fortnite player JATennnnn posed the question: “Anyone else upset we didn’t get half of the things in this picture?” The paths? Also the windmill and the food stands… This looks amazing, but my village will never be half as good as this because Fortnite decided not to add them.” Players also highlighted various other missing items, such as particular paths, fruit stands, windmills and a higher amount of villagers available than the 15 max limit, to name a few. This however, soon spawned a widespread debate around the state of the game. “That’s the point of the picture. These features could and will come to the game. This picture is here to tease you,” a player responded. Various players backed them up stating that LEGO Fortnite was “free” and that the community “need to have some patience.” Others had the opposite view: “I’m so tired of people using the ‘free game’ argument for the lack of content, as if Epic isn’t a multi-billion dollar company with an estimated daily revenue well into the millions.” As another added: “Its a shame that LEGO Fortnite has started to fall off so hard, the game had such big potential too, but theres just not enough to do with how limiting the game is.” With Epic Games having announced that the game mode will have regular updates, many reffered to how it is in a similar state to when Minecraft first launched. Overall, as the game continues to evolve, it will look to continue to win over more players.
