How to get Fortnite’s new Laguna skin starter pack Epic GamesA new starter pack is available in Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One and PC, bringing the previously leaked ‘Laguna’ skin and other cosmetic items, all for a set price – plus some bonus V-Bucks. The starter pack was already available in some countries as of March 18, and is expected to be rolled out across all platforms on March 19. The contents of the starter pack were previously leaked, discovered in the game files following the v8.10 update, and the leaks have turned out to be accurate. In-keeping with the somewhat tropical theme of Season 8, the starter pack will include two pineapple inspired cosmetics, a back-bling and a wrap. The ‘Pineapple’ wrap is pretty self-explanatory, and the back-bling is the ‘pineapple strummer’, a guitar with some fruity insignia. There’s also a bonus 600 V-Bucks in the pack. Buy Laguna starter pack in Fortnite If you want the new skin and cosmetics, they will set you back £3.99 (expected to be $4.99 when available on US digital stores). To purchase the starter pack, you will need to head to the digital store of your platform, for example the PlayStation store if you are a PS4 player. There’s no rush on the purchase though, as the Laguna starter pack should remain available until the next pack is released, which will likely be a couple of months away. Which platforms is it available on? The starter pack was made available on PlayStation 4 and PC platforms on March 18, in some countries, and was expected to pop up in stores on March 19 – and that seem to have come to fruition. A report from Fortnite Intel suggests that the new Fortnite cosmetics are also now available on Xbox One platform as well – as of March 19. Fortnite update 31.20 has dropped and it brings a significant shift to the loot pool by adding Iron Man’s mythic items and returning a classic Stark tech weapon − Stark Industries Energy Rifle. This weapon adds to an existing arsenal of Marvel-themed items this season right from Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets to Captain America’s Shield. Players can wield either of the weapons according to their choice or refer to our tier list, to defeat Doctor Doom himself or his henchmen across the island. Still, if that’s not enough, you can best rely on some good old Stark Tech that the Energy Rifle brings to the game. Where to find Stark Industries Energy Rifle in Fortnite The Stark Industries Energy Rifle can be found in regular loot chests, Supply Drones, Avengers Chests, Stark Chests, or even as floor loot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. The weapon, however, now uses Light Ammo which you normally would use for an Assault Rifle. You can find the weapon across three rarities − Rare, Epic, and Legendary, each with different stats. You can find the rare version quite easily anywhere on the island, the Epic rarity in mostly Supply Drones or Rare Chests, and the Legendary rarity in Avengers Chests, Stark Chests, or drones. How to use and weapon stats The Stark Industries Energy Rifle comes in two firing modes − first is the single energy shot that you can fire by using ADS (Aim Down Sights) on the weapon. This fires a blue pulse and has a tighter crosshair allowing you to use it like a marksman rifle. The other mode is the burst mode which you can use by simply using hipfire with the weapon. This fires red beams in quick succession to deal some light damage to enemies. Furthermore, the Stark Industries Energy Rifle is not a Hitscan weapon anymore as it once was in Chapter 2, which also had First Shot Accuracy enabled. This means you’ll experience significant bullet drop and would require a learning curve to master it. The latest starter pack in Fortnite Battle Royale is called Cobalt and is now officially available everywhere around the world. The bundle features the brand new Cobalt outfit skin that had been previously leaked, alongside its Reinforced Backplate back-bling, and 600 V-Bucks. This latest starter pack can be purchased by visiting the store section of the Fortnite Battle Royale menu, where it is currently priced at $4.99, the same price as all previous starter packs. The Cobalt Pack had already been available in the eastern regions of the world, but it is now also now available in all of the regions based in the Western Hemisphere. For those who may be having trouble finding this bundle in the Fortnite store, it may take some time until Epic Games are able to get it available in every region. These starter packs generally stay in the store for quite a while and don’t get taken out until the next bundle is officially announced and released. It appears that the Cobalt will not be nearly as controversial as its predecessor, the Summit Striker, which some believed was added to pay homage to popular Twitch streamer ‘Summit1G.’ Epic Games tend to use skins in these packs that they don’t think will do well as regularly sold items in the Fortnite Item Shop, so this will be the only way to acquire the Cobalt skin. This cosmetic update will allow your Save the World pickaxes to become available in Battle Royale, but it also allows for all your BR skins to come to StW. All you’ll have to do is download the update and you’re good to go. “We’re happy to announce that Pickaxes are coming to the Locker in Save the World with the v10.20 update,” wrote Epic Games in a blog post. “Pickaxe selection will be added to the Locker tab, giving you the ability to customize your harvesting tool with any Pickaxe in your collection, from both Save the World and Battle Royale.” This will be good news to anyone who plays both, but it won’t really matter much to BR players who don’t partake in Save the World. There are several StW exclusive pickaxes right now so those will be nice to have in Battle Royale. Of course, the biggest news is those Save the World players will get access to all of the other pickaxes they might own in BR since there are so many available. You won’t be able to find them like other weapons in the loot pool, though, so we’re going to explain what you need to do to unlock them. How to get the Combat AR & Combat SMG in Fortnite In order to unlock the Combat Assault Rifle or Combat SMG in Fortnite, players around the world will need to donate enough Gold Bars towards their chosen weapon’s fund as part of the ongoing War Effort. You can make donations of Gold Bars at the various Donation Boards around the Island, usually located just outside POIs. We’ve marked them all on the map below to save you some time when looking for them. Once the Combat Assault Rifle or Combat SMG gets enough donations, it will be unlocked and will enter the loot pool alongside the current lineup of weapons.
