How to complete “Find two hidden shortcuts” Fortnite Season 9 Downtown Drop challenge Epic GamesAnother new challenge for Fortnite Battle Royale’s special Downtown Drop LTM has released, tasking players to find two hidden shortcuts as they zoom around the map. The Downtown Drop LTM, which was created in conjunction with legendary sneaker brand Jordan, sees players zooming around a custom-built map collecting coins. Included in the LTM are a number of challenges that unlock special rewards for players, and another of those tasks went live on May 27, asking players to find two shortcuts somewhere on the map. While this challenge might sound difficult, it’s actually surprisingly simple, especially if you know what you are looking for. The term “hidden shortcuts” might sound like these passages are difficult to find, but they are scattered fairly obviously over the Downtown Drop map, so using one to cut out portions of the map shouldn’t turn out to be too difficult. The shortcuts take the form of holes or stairwalls that have been cut into the game’s map, and are found in numerous locations around the Downtown Drop map. If you’re still struggling to find the hidden shortcuts, this useful YouTube video should show you exactly what you’re looking for as you attempt to complete the challenge. The “Find hidden shortcuts” challenge isn’t the only task in the Downtown Drop LTM, and if you’re having a hard time completing them, our handy challenge guide will help you knock out a few of them in less than five minutes. The Jordan collaboration in Fortnite Battle Royale also offers players two new skins named Grind and Clutch, with both characters wearing a pair of the iconic Jordan 1 shoes that have been a staple of sneaker culture for years. The Downtown Drop LTM is live now, but there is no official end date as of yet, so make sure you get all the challenges completed before Epic Games removes it, and the back bling rewards, for good.

How to complete ‘Dance inside a holographic tomato head’ challenge, Week 4, Fortnite Season 9 – Dexerto
How to complete ‘Dance inside a holographic tomato head’ challenge, Week 4, Fortnite Season 9 Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale Season 9 is now into its fourth week, which means players have a new set of challenges to complete including a staged challenge which tasks players with dancing inside a holographic tomato head, inside a holographic Durr Burger, and on top of a giant Dumpling head. This week’s staged challenge requires players to visit three different locations, which each have a large food-related item to advertise the many restaurants that can be found scattered across the Fortnite Battle Royale map. The challenge itself doesn’t provide any clues as to where players need to go to find them, but this guide will give you the exact spot of each of the stages, meaning you should be able to complete it and earn your Battle Star reward with ease. Stage 1: Dance inside a holographic Tomato head The first stage of this challenge requires players to dance inside of a holographic Tomato head. To do this, players will have to head over to Mega Mall, which sits on the site where Retail Row used to be, and build their way up to the roof. Floating above the top of the mall is the holographic Tomato head. Simply build a ramp up to the image, and once inside it, use an emote to dance. Stage 2: Dance inside a holographic Durr Burger head For the second step of the challenge, head to Neo Tilted, where the Durr Burger hologram can be seen floating high above the city. There is no easy way to get up to the image of the burger, so make sure you have plenty of materials to build your way to the hologram. Once you build your way inside it, perform another dance using an emote. Stage 3: Dance on top of a Dumpling head The final stage of this challenge will take players to the southern point of the map, as they will need to visit Lucky Landings, which is a point-of-interest designed to look like a historic Asian location. Perched on top of one of the tallest buildings in the area is a Dumpling head. As this isn’t a hologram but an actual item, players will need to dance on top of it rather than inside it once they build their way up to it. If you’re struggling to find the locations for each of the stages, you can use this map which shows you where you need to go. Remember, Fortnite Battle Royale players must complete the challenge in order, so make sure you complete the first stage at Mega Mall before attempting to dance in the Durr Burger head at Neo Tilted. Step-by-step guide to completing the “Stage 1: Dance inside a holographic Tomato head” challenge Head to Mega Mall and dance inside of the holographic Tomato head. – Move on to Neo Tilted and dance inside of the holographic Durr Burger head. – Finish at Lucky Landings and dance on top of the Dumpling head. –

How to complete ‘bounce off giant umbrellas’ challenge for Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer – Dexerto
How to complete ‘bounce off giant umbrellas’ challenge for Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer Epic GamesFortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event is still rumbling on, and the eighth challenge requires players to “Bounce off giant beach umbrellas in three different matches.” If you’re struggling to find these big brollies, our handy guide will point you in the right direction. With Epic Games taking a two-week break, the developers introduced the special 14 Days of Summer event to make sure that fans of the game have a constant supply of new content while they take a hard-earned holiday. Every day for two weeks, fans receive a brand new daily challenge, with a special reward for those who can complete it before the limited-time mode ends in just under a weeks time. Day Eight requires players to bounce on top of the giant beach umbrellas that were added to the game in the v9.30 update. While they are hard to miss due to their size, they’re not marked on the actual game’s map, so unless you happened to come across one naturally, you may not know where to find them. There are six of the umbrellas sitting across the Fortnite map, with only the snowy location in the south-west corner of the island missing one of the items, likely because a beach umbrella isn’t required in the icy elements of Polar Peake or Happy Hamlet. If you haven’t been able to find the giant umbrellas, we’ve marked their location on the map below. 700To complete the challenge, you’ll need to build up beside them or make your way onto a hill overlooking one of the umbrellas, then jump onto the canvas covering on top and bounce off of it. The challenges dictates that you must do this in three different matches, so even if you jump on three in a single game, you will only have one umbrella added to your challenge. This challenge is the eighth in the event, but don’t worry if you missed one, as our 14 Days of Summer challenge hub will help get you caught up and earn some prizes. Players are expected to receive a brand new loading screen for completing this challenge, although that has yet to be confirmed. We’ll be sure to update this article when the official reward has been revealed.

Right now, the only place to do that is Command Cavern or The Collider, a new POI that was added in the v20.40 update. Be careful, though, as Huntmaster Saber – an Imagined Order boss – now spawns at The Collider and he’s very difficult to take down. We’d recommend avoiding him and targeting regular IO soldiers instead.

How to complete all four Part 1 challenges of Fortnitemares event in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to complete all four Part 1 challenges of Fortnitemares event in Fortnite Fortnitemares 2018 is finally here and has brought a new set of challenges to complete in order to unlock new items. After being teased for four days leading up to the event’s start on October 24, Fortnitemares has completely changed Fortnite with the inclusion of Cube Monsters and new weapons. As everyone gets acclimated to the new style of play, a new set of challenges are available as part of the special, Halloween-themed event. Destroy Cube Monsters – Deal damage with Assault Rifles or Pistols to Cube Monsters – Visit a Corrupted Area in Different Matches – Dance in front of Different Gargoyles – Destroy Cube Monsters Added to the game with the V6.2 update, Cube Monstera are AI enemies that appear at Large Cube Fragments located near the Corrupted Areas around the map. They will also appear around Small Cube Fragments that randomly spawn on the map during any given match. Killing 200 of these might sound like a tall task, but they don’t have much health and will die pretty easily. Simply drop near the Corrupted Areas on the map if you want to complete this one quickly. Deal damage with Assault Rifles or Pistols to Cube Monsters While you’re trying to complete the first challenge of defeating Cube Monsters, you should make sure that you have an Assault Rifle so that you can kill two birds with one stone. Each Cube Monster will slowly lumber towards you, making it easy to quickly mow them all down and rack up the damage. Visit a Corrupted Area in Different Matches Speaking of those Corrupted Areas, you’ll need to land at all seven of these to complete this challenge. Since you’ve got to go there for the previous two challenges anyways, completing this one shouldn’t take too long. Be on the lookout for human opponents, though, since these will certainly be hot drops as players fight to finish up their challenges as quickly as possible. You can find the locations of all seven Corrupted Areas below: in-depth guide for this challenge, which includes all known gargoyle locations, here.

How to complete a lap at Motorboat Mayhem for Fortnite Week 4 challenges – Dexerto
How to complete a lap at Motorboat Mayhem for Fortnite Week 4 challenges Epic GamesThe latest set of challenges have arrived in Week 4 of Fortnite’s Chapter 2, Season 3, and one of them is to complete a lap at Motorboat Mayhem. Here’s the quickest and easiest way to do it. The challenge is now officially live, having gone up on Thursday, July 9 alongside the rest of the week’s tasks, such as opening chests at Salty Springs or getting eliminations at Frenzy Farm. This isn’t one that can just happen coincidentally as you traverse the Fortnite map, though, so you’ll have to seek out where to go and what to do. Where is Motorboat Mayhem in Fortnite? Motorboat Mayhem is located towards the southern side of the Fortnite Season 3 map, slightly northwest to Misty Meadows or directly east from Rickety Rig. As it is an unnamed location, you won’t simply be able to pinpoint it on the map while in the Battle Bus, so we’ve put a marker where you need to go to reach Motorboat Mayhem here. As you can see, its near Lazy Lake and placed just next to the Hydro 16 dam. How to get a motorboat & complete the challenge Getting a motorboat to complete the challenge is actually the easy part, as they’re located all over the map now thanks to the map being submerged in water. Obviously, the closest locations to grab one would be Misty Meadows or Lazy Lake, but you could also drive in from Rickety Rig if you prefer to land there. Once you’ve got your boat, you’ll need to head to Motorboat Mayhem and simply follow the track laid out for you – it’s simply enough, but you’ll want to get it done first time ideally so make sure you get it right. Motorboat Mayhem challenge rewards For completing the challenge, you will earn 35,000 XP to help you toward Tier 100 in your Battle Pass, and you’ll get the same amount of XP for each challenge you complete as always. So, if you’re looking to level up your Battle Pass as quickly as possible, this is an easy enough challenge that should help you get a step up.

How to complete all Fortnite Avian Ambush Week Quests – Dexerto
How to complete all Fortnite Avian Ambush Week Quests Epic GamesAvian Ambush Week Quests have arrived in Fortnite, giving players a new set of chicken-themed challenges to complete to earn some extra XP before the current season ends. There’s just days to go until Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 draws to a close, with Season 2 expected to bring about some exciting new features. Until then, players will need to earn enough XP to max out their Battle Pass – especially if they want to get those Super Styles. Fortunately, there’s a new set of challenges available to complete for Avian Ambush Week. These quests all involve chickens (we’ve got a handy location guide to help you out there) and it looks like we’re also going to start seeing new Loot Chickens arrive on the island. Below, you’ll find details of every Avian Ambush Week Quest, as well as some handy tips to help you complete them all in no time at all. How to complete Avian Ambush Quests in Fortnite Here are all of the Avian Ambush Week challenges to complete in Fortnite Chapter 3: Throw chickens (5) – Slide for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken (1) – Open a Vault while holding a chicken (1) – Hunt a Loot Chicken or Crow (2) – Fly with a chicken for 20 meters in a single flight (1) – Catch a chicken in different matches (3) – Bounce on a tire, umbrella, or Web Bouncer 3 consecutive times while holding a chicken (1) – To complete the first challenge (and several others), you’ll need to catch a chicken. To do this, find one on the map using our chicken location guide, then run after it until the ‘interact’ button appears. Press it quickly and you’ll pick it up. Once you’ve got a chicken, you’ll be able to fly with it, throw it, bounce on tires while holding one, and slide while holding one. You can also open one of the island’s hidden Vault while holding one, and we’ve got a guide for that right here. As for the rest of the challenges, most of them involve dealing damage to chickens or hunting them (which seems a little harsh if you ask us). Find a chicken again using our guide, and then put your aiming skills to the test to damage them. Be aware that some chickens will now fight back, and most other wildlife appears to have been removed from the island – so get ready for some all-out feathered warfare. When does Fortnite Avian Ambush Week end? You’ve only got until March 15 at 7am PST / 9am EST / 2pm GMT to complete the Avian Ambush Quests, so make sure you’ve finished them all before then if you need the XP. Once the Avian Ambush Week ends, there will most likely be another themed Wild Week to enjoy until Chapter 3: Season 1 comes to an end. We’ll keep you updated over on our Fortnite page. How to compete in Fortnite’s $1 million Winter Royale open competition – Dexerto
How to compete in Fortnite’s $1 million Winter Royale open competition For the first time, competitive Fortnite players will be able to compete for a major prize pool without an invitation, as the Winter Royale is the game’s first open competition – and boasts a $1 million prize pool. Unlike the Summer and Fall ‘Skirmish’ events, the Winter Royale is not an invitational that only a select (and very lucky) few can participate in. Epic Games has been keen to keep inclusivity at the top of their priorities for Fortnite esports, and having their first open competition is a big step in the right direction, giving opportunity to lesser known players. Following the release of online, in-game tournaments for Fortnite in October, the time has finally come for a more meaningful and prestigious competition, with big prize money on the line. The Winter Royale will be the online tournament system used to decide participants in the Fortnite World Cup in 2019. Later in November, there will be a ‘test event’ that will trial the World Cup qualification process. Split over two parts – the Winter Royale Qualifiers and the Winter Royale Finals – the Winter Royale have a total of $1 million up for grabs, although Epic hasn’t revealed the specific prize breakdowns. The test events will consist of two parts, the Winter Royale Qualifiers and the Winter Royale Finals, which will have a total of $1,000,000 in prizes up for grabs. There will be several chances for anyone to try and get a high score during the Winter Royale Qualifier days. The highest score you achieve during any event session will be the one that counts, so be sure to give it your all! As part of our ongoing competitive tests to prepare for the Fortnite World Cup, Winter Royale will use the same game settings as the currently available Pop-Up Cup. The top performers in each region for NA and EU will be verified, and those players found eligible will be invited to participate in the Winter Royale Finals for their region. While this tournament will be restricted to NA and EU, we’re planning on holding other region-specific tournaments in additional regions in the near future. Source: Epic Games

How to compete in Fortnite’s first Box Fight Tournament: date, prizes – Dexerto
How to compete in Fortnite’s first Box Fight Tournament: date, prizes Epic GamesFortnite is about to launch its first-ever Box Fight Tournament, a creative 1v1 competition in an arena designed by winners of last month’s Princess Castle Creative Contest. If you’re interested in competing, here’s everything you need to know.[jwplayer uZppK6qI] Fortnite is a competitive game at heart, but it’s also a wonderful platform for creative players. It’s the reason why the creative mode is so popular. Players can build their own islands and share them with others. Last month, Fortnite celebrated its third birthday by hosting the Princess Castle Creative Contest. Essentially, players had to create and submit their own version of a Box Fight map. For those who don’t know, Box Fighting is when two players are fighting within one tile of each other and inside a box. It’s unique in the sense that it combines competitive and creative skills. Two players named HassanFTN and Shride won the contest. Their arena, named “Island of Dreams” (9005-6737-3429), was chosen to be showcased in the first official Box Fight Tournament. How to compete in the Box Fight Tournament To compete in the Box Fight Tournament, all you need to do is look for the Box Fight Tournament LTM on the main menu once it’s available. However, there is an eligibility requirement. Players will need to have reached Open League (Division II) in Arena before the tournament begins. Don’t stress if you haven’t though. It’s very easy to do and will only take a couple of games. The format is pretty straightforward. Players will duke it out in a one on one Box Fight against other players in their region. It will follow a traditional tournament structure with multiple rounds. The more rounds you win, the higher you will climb. The player with the most wins at the end of the tournament is the winner. Prizes Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any news on potential prizes yet. However, it will probably follow a similar system used in Wild Wednesdays. Keep in mind that these aren’t final, and they will be updated once more information is available. Event Prizes – Europe Event Prizes – NA East Event Prizes – NA West Event Prizes – Brazil Event Prizes – Asia Event Prizes – OCE Event Prizes – Middle East When does the Box Fight Tournament start? Fortnite players don’t need to wait long. The Box Fight Tournament begins on Wednesday, October 28, which means it’s only one sleep away. However, that also means if you haven’t ranked up enough in Arena to be eligible, you’ll need to hop in and get started before it’s too late. Box Fighting is an important skill in Fortnite. In many ways, it’s what separates the wolves from the sheep. If you’ve mastered it, the tournament is a good way to test your skills. Don’t be disheartened if you haven’t though. Taking part in the tournament is a good way to improve.

How to collect Floating Rings at Lazy Lake in Fortnite Week 3 challenges – Dexerto
How to collect Floating Rings at Lazy Lake in Fortnite Week 3 challenges Epic GamesThe third week of Fortnite’s Season 3 is almost here and with it comes a whole new set of challenges for players to complete. Here’s what you’ll need to find and collect the Floating Rings at Lazy Lake in Week 3. The long-awaited release of Season 3 introduced a ton of new changes to Fortnite on June 17, such as new weapons, map changes, and even more weekly tasks for players to complete in-game. While many of the Week 3 challenges are fairly straightforward, there is one that requires players to collect four Floating Rings at Lazy Lake, which can be quite time-consuming if you don’t know where to look. However, we’ve put together a guide on all of the Ring locations, to help you complete your weekly challenges and earn those rewards. Where to find Floating Rings at Lazy Lake in Fortnite Week 3 For the third week, Fortnite fans will need to travel to the Lazy Lake point-of-interest and search for blue rings that are floating around the nearby buildings. You will need to collect four of these rings in total to complete the challenge and here’s where they can be found. The first ring is located above a giant tree in the center of Lazy Lake, next to the Aloto Auto building. You will either have to land on the tree or build your way up to get the ring. – The second collectible can be found just outside of the Big Shots diner. Unlike the first one, you will simply need to bounce from one of the umbrellas to collect it. – You will need to head to the toll booth at the edge of Lazy Lake for the third ring, which is hovering just above the entry barrier. – The fourth and final Floating Ring needed can be found just above the entrance to the ‘No Sweat Insurance’ building. – Lazy Lake’s Floating Ring Locations So there you have it, after you pick up all of the Floating Rings you will have completed the task and receive 35,000 XP for your efforts. Players have also noticed that Lazy Lake is not the only POI to have the rings appear, making it likely that this will be a recurring Season 3 challenge in the weeks ahead. As Epic Games are known for adding popular characters from other franchises into their battle royale, some Fortnite fans have also theorized that these Floating Rings could even be a hint towards the addition of a potential Sonic character in the upcoming seasons, although that has yet to be confirmed.

Well, they’re actually quite difficult to defeat, so we’ve got some tips below. How to defeat IO Guards in Fortnite You’ll need to come prepared if you want to defeat an IO Guard in Fortnite. Use a mid-range weapon like an Assault Rifle and find some cover in case things go south. Fortnite Battle Royale devs Epic Games might be giving free $10 credit to secure accounts in upcoming event – Dexerto
Fortnite Battle Royale devs Epic Games might be giving free $10 credit to secure accounts in upcoming event UPDATE: Epic Games has clarified that the message of the day was an accidental leak and that, while a store sale is coming soon, it is not live and no exact date has been set. This post (originally titled “How to claim free $10 for Fortnite Battle Royale’s in-game store”) has been adjusted to reflect that announcement. It appears that Fortnite Battle Royale players and other Epic Games Store users will soon receive a gift of $10 in credit by completing a simple task ahead of the Epic Games Store Mega Sale. Epic Games are the developers of Fortnite Battle Royale, and recently launched the Epic Games Store, a competitor to Steam which hosts a number of PC games, and also features some exclusive titles such as Ubisoft’s The Division 2. Now, Epic Games could be getting ready to offer players $10 free of charge by completing a simple security measure (one that you should be using even without the reward!) inside their store. How will players get their free $10? Getting your hands on the free $10 from Epic Games should be simple, if an accidentally released Fortnite Battle Royale ‘message of the day’ from the early hours of May 14 is to be believed. According to the message, all players will need to do is enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their Epic Games account. If, or when, the sale goes live, players should be gifted with the Epic Games Store credit upon completion. The message was quickly removed after it appeared in the in-game news feed but many players were able to grab screenshots of it, giving everyone time to prepare for what could soon become an official announcement. After the message of the day was removed in-game, the developers took to Twitter to clarify that it had appeared mistakenly and that no such offer was currently live or officially scheduled. They said: “Whoops! An MOTD snuck out about a sale. There is an Epic Games store sale on games in the works, but it hasn’t launched yet. Stay tuned to @EpicGames for details in a few days.” Whoops! An MOTD snuck out about a sale. There is an Epic Games store sale on games in the works, but it hasn’t launched yet. Stay tuned to @EpicGames for details in a few days. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 14, 2019 How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on my account? Enabling two-factor authentication on your account must be done on the Epic Games website, and cannot be completed inside the Fortnite Battle Royale game on your PC or console. Once enabled, players will receive an email with a special code from Epic Games that must be entered every time you attempt to log into your Epic Games account on a new device. To enable 2FA: Go to epicgames.com and log into your Epic account. – Open account settings by hovering over your username in the top right corner. – Select password and security. – At the bottom of the page, click on the ‘enable two-factor sign in’ button. – Why would Epic Games give away store credit for 2FA? Two-factor authentication is the best way that Epic Games can protect your account, which for many has already seen significant investment in the forms of purchased Battle Passes, and skins and cosmetics that have been bought from the in-game store. By offering an incentive to players who have it activated, Epic Games will surely be hoping to persuade more to enable the security measure on their account with the incentive of $10 credit to buy more skins, cosmetics, or get money off other games. This wouldn’t be the first time the developers have offered rewards for enabling 2FA – they previously gave out emotes to those who turned it on. What could I buy with $10 credit? Epic Games’ generous gift, if it becomes official, would mean players could purchase V-Bucks from the in-game store. These can be used to acquire new skins, cosmetic items, or the Season 9 Battle Pass in Fortnite Battle Royale. The $10 credit could also theoretically be used inside the Epic Games Store itself, allowing players to get money off one of the big titles available to purchase in the marketplace, or to buy a smaller game as part of the Mega Sale which is coming up. Last updated May 14 2019 at 12:30 pm Eastern Time.

How to claim Capture Points in Fortnite & where to find them – Dexerto
How to claim Capture Points in Fortnite & where to find them Epic GamesCapture Points are a new mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 4 that involve securing small locations inside major POIs to get some great rewards. Here’s how to claim a Capture Point in Fortnite and all of the locations you can find them. If you’ve played any multiplayer shooting game before, the chances are you’ll have come across a mode involving Capture Points (or Control Points) where the objective is to keep control of a specific location for a set amount of time. Although Fortnite doesn’t have a dedicated mode for Capture Points, they have started to appear in the standard Battle Royale mode. If your squad manages to take control of these points, you’ll get plenty of loot and reveal nearby chests. So whether you’re wondering how to claim a Capture Point to complete a weekly challenge in Fortnite or you just want to start your match with a nice bunch of weapons and items, here’s everything you need to know about Capture Points. How to claim a Capture Point in Fortnite Claiming a Capture Point is as simple as remaining inside the circle radius until the flag is fully raised to the top of the pole. You can check your progress by watching the circular meter that appears on the screen, as this indicates how much longer you need to remain in the circle. Leaving the circle radius won’t reset your Capture Point progress completely, but the flag will slowly fall down the pole if you leave for too long, so it’s a good idea to remain where you are unless you’re completely overwhelmed by opponents. It’s more important than ever to keep a lookout while you’re attempting to claim a Capture Point, as your location will be given away to any nearby opponents thanks to the rising capture flag and sound effects. Once you’ve claimed a Capture Point, loads of loot will appear around it. This will usually include decent-rarity weapons, healing items, shields, and throwable items like grenades, so it’s a brilliant way to stock up on a decent loadout near the beginning of a match. Enemies and Chests within the POI will also be marked for 30 seconds after you claim a Capture Point. With this information, you can either sneak up on your opponents for some easy eliminations or figure out the best escape route if you’re trying to play sneakily. Capture Point locations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 You can find a Capture Point inside every named location on the Fortnite map. While this makes them easy to find, it does mean you’ll always have some competition as POIs are typically popular drop points. Here are all of the locations you can find Capture Points in Fortnite right now: Breakwater Bay – The Citadel – Anvil Square – Lonely Labs – Brutal Bastion – Slappy Shores – Shattered Slabs – Faulty Splits – Frenzy Fields – If you just want to claim a Capture Point to complete a challenge and earn some XP, then it’s best to head to a quieter location like Lonely Labs as there will be less competition from other players. If you want to know how to do it, you’ve come to the right place. Having to exit games and return to the menus just for the sake of switching out your outfit or something as simple as a glider can get annoying. After all, there’s that handy feature to just ready up and search for another match as soon as you’re eliminated these days, and players like to use it – in solos, duos, and squads. Now, there’s a way to change up your skin without going through what feels like a medieval process for a game like this. So, let’s look at how to do just that. How to change and buy Fortnite skins without returning to menu Following the arrival of Fortnite’s v12.60 update in Season 2 of Chapter 2, members of the community can now switch up their skins and cosmetics for the next game without having to exit. The function, discovered by a few players already, will speed up the process dramatically for those who like to switch things up on the regular. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to pull it off. Once you have been eliminated, look at the menu that appears on the right side of the screen. – The menu has four options. Those are: Ready Up, Spectate, Shop & Locker, and Return to Lobby. – Select ‘Shop & Locker’. – From there, you can either buy a new skin before readying up or select one you have already purchased. – Click on the one you like and away you go! New skin, without the hassle of returning to the lobby. – If those instructions don’t make it clear enough, a video from Matt Theo on Twitter – seen below – shows you exactly how it’s done. https://twitter.com/MattTheo_/status/1263059173585059841 The menu appears, click away, choose the one you want and the job is done. Now you know what you know, you will be able to rotate your skins and cosmetics easily between matches. In fact, it’s as seamless as it’s ever been!

How to change your Fortnite name – Dexerto
How to change your Fortnite name Epic GamesUnlike a lot of online games, changing your username on Fortnite is completely free and simple if you know how to do it. The only limitation is how often you’re allowed to change your in-game name. As with any online game, Fortnite allows you to choose your username when you first make an account. However, it won’t take long for a lot of players to regret their chosen name and look for a way to change it. Fortunately, unlike a lot of online games, Epic Games has made the name-changing process on Fortnite extremely simple. What’s more, it can be done completely free of charge on PC, so there’s no need to go pick up any extra V-bucks. So, without further ado, here’s exactly how to change your in-game display name on Fortnite. How to change your username in Fortnite For PC players, changing your name on Fortnite is completely free, but it can only be done every 2 weeks. So, make sure you’ve come up with your desired name before you decide to alter your current one: Visit the Epic Games website here and click “Sign in” in the top right-hand corner of the site – Sign in to your account using your details – Hover over your username in the top right corner and click “Account” – Under “Account Info” you’ll see your current username with a blue pen icon next to it – click it – Type in your new display name and hit “Confirm” – You’ll then see a green notification at the top of your screen saying “Name updated” if the change has gone through – Now, for console players, the process is a little different as your Fortnite name is tied to your Gamertag. So, the only way to alter your name is to change your overall profile name. This can be done from the dashboard of your console and usually costs a small amount of money. Keep in mind your Gamertag will be your name on the majority of online games – not just Fortnite. Hopefully, this guide has helped you change your display name on Fortnite and given you a new in-game alias to go by.

How to catch Fortnite Season 4’s Vendetta Flopper fish – Dexerto
How to catch Fortnite Season 4’s Vendetta Flopper fish Epic GamesRare species of fish have been swimming around since Fortnite Season 4 got underway and there’s none more hard to find than a Vendetta Flopper. Here, we will walk you through how to catch one in-game and what it does. Just like the Mythic Goldfish and Midas Flopper, this one is extremely difficult to add to your inventory. Secure it, though, and it could be the difference between a win and a loss. That’s for sure. The Mythic Goldfish does tremendous damage to opponents and the Midas Flopper, of equal rarity, makes all of your inventory Legendary. Gold guns are the most prized assets in many people’s minds so the attraction there is obvious, but not many will have added the Vendetta to their collection just yet. So, where can you actually find one, and what do they do? Let’s run through the details. How to get a Vendetta Flopper in Fortnite The Vendetta Flopper, much like every other rare fish added in the v14.00 update, requires a Pro Fishing Rod to obtain it. This takes a few steps, but is easy enough to grab in-game. All you have to do is follow the instructions below, really. Jump into Fortnite and find a normal fishing rod. – Get 100 of each material for its upgrade. – Find an Upgrade Bench, which are scattered across the map. – Craft a Pro Fishing Rod. – Search for the Vendetta Flopper! – Where to find Vendetta Flopper: Location As of September 2020, the Vendetta Flopper has only been found (supposedly) by a handful of players. Even in those cases, proof of a catch is pretty much impossible to find online in the way of videos or screenshots. This would lead us to believe that it’s either an ultra-rare thing to find, much like the Mythic Goldfish, or that its spawn rate will be increased to up encounters in a future Fortnite patch. Once we have more details, or evidence that it can be found in a specific area of the battle royale island, we will update this guide accordingly. Fortnite Season 4 Vendetta Flopper clues In the absence of sightings, YouTuber Ali-A has predicted that the Vendetta Flopper will actually take pride of place in Slot 1 of the Season 4 fish list. He usually finds a lot of secrets before everybody else, but even he has been left stumped by this addition. Segment starts at 16:08. As seen in the video above, there’s no fish in that vacant position, which means it could yet be added in an online update. What fish are in Fortnite? A full list of other fish found in Fortnite can be found below. Black Slurpfish (night only) – Black Striped Shieldfish – Chum Hop Flopper – Purple Jellyfish – Raven Thermalfish – Sky Blue Spicy Fish – Coho Hop Flopper – Drift Spicy Fish – Green Shieldfish – Green Thermalfish – Red and Green Thermalfish – White Slurpfish (Night Only) – Chinook Hop Flopper – Cuddle Jellyfish – Southern Spicy Fish – Yellow Slurpfish – Atlantic Hop Flopper – Peely Jellyfish – Purple Slurpfish – White Spotted Spicy fish – Black and Blue Shieldfish – Blue Slurpfish – Blue Small Fry – Light Blue Smallfry – Molten Spicyfish – Purple Top Smallfry – Purple and Orange Thermalfish – Silver Thermalfish – Slurp Jellyfish – Tan Small Fry – Midas Flopper – Last updated on September 1, 2020.

How to catch Fortnite Chapter 2’s Mythic Goldfish – Dexerto
How to catch Fortnite Chapter 2’s Mythic Goldfish Fortnite Chapter 2 marked the introduction of fishing to the battle royale game and while there are some very good things to pull out from the water, many players will be looking to grab themselves a Mythical Goldfish. Just like any other season, Chapter 2’s Season 1 offers a whole host of different achievements to be completed and many of which, this time around, include what appears to be a rare catch: a big, gold fish! Members of the game’s online community shouldn’t feel stupid for not knowing how to catch it just yet, though, and that includes those of us that haven’t even seen one appear since the game’s major update rolling out on October 15. After casting out, once you feel a bite and decide to reel in, you will typically be greeted with one of five items. These include materials, a random weapon, Slurpfish, Flopper, or Small Fry. The last three can be used to heal your character, with the Slurpfish healing 50 shield and health, while the Flopper gives 50 and the Small fry is very similar to a bandage in terms of how much it helps – 25 per use. Yet, these aren’t the only type of fish that will be able to be caught in Fortnite. Data miner HYPEX confirmed that the Mythic Goldfish was headed to the game and being released into the wild soon, making it available to catch, although it’s fair to say that not many players have actually seen it so far. Not only will this fish allow you to complete a number of challenges in-game, but once it has been collected it can be used to throw at opponents and will deal 90 damage per hit – making it a potentially devastating weapon as well. It would be very easy to say that they don’t exist in Fortnite, just because you haven’t seen one yourself, but a few players have been posting about their experience catching the fish and yes, it is available to find in Chapter 2. They’re just pretty rare. Many players have been asking Reddit user OldManHerman questions, after they posted about finding one on October 20, but their answers might not be too helpful for those looking for tips on how to pick one out of the water. In fact, they found their first golden fish near Misty Meadows and it was laying on the ground. The user also revealed that they didn’t check off any challenges by finding it in this way, which would suggest that picking up somebody else’s catch is not the way to go. Therefore, it’s very likely that you will catch it right from the water – as you can do with any other fish in Fortnite. If you would like some other pointers on the best ways to go about fishing, check out our complete guide which should help you improve and will give you the best chance of being prepared for any sudden appearance of the Mythic Goldfish! If you spot it and don’t know what to do, you’re going to be kicking yourself. These are very rare. Article last updated on October 21, 2019 at 05:55 (EST).

How to catch Fortnite Season 4’s Midas Flopper fish – Dexerto
How to catch Fortnite Season 4’s Midas Flopper fish Epic GamesEpic Games have added new an ultra rare Midas Flopper fish in Fortnite Season 4, Chapter 2, and it’s probably the most valuable item you can find in-game. Here, we look at where to catch them and what they do. Much like the Mythic Goldfish added at the beginning of Chapter 2, the new Midas Flopper is almost impossible to catch in the battle royale game. It has such a low spawn rate, meaning your chance of actually coming across one are super minimal. That being said, there are a few tips players should know if they are looking to hunt one down. This fish, when consumed, actually grants you with a total inventory of Legendary rarity guns, meaning you can gain access to some huge upgrades to take you towards the endgame. There are so many species in Season 4, with a boatload of new ones being added to the spawn pool. So, let’s run through where you can find this species and get an advantage over your opponents. Where to find a Midas Flopper in Fortnite The rarest fish in the entire game isn’t going to just hand itself over to you. There’s a level of skill to go into finding one. You’ll also need to get your hands on a Pro Fishing Rod. To do so, just follow our fishing guide for Season 4, here. Drop into Fortnite Battle Royale. – Jump out the Battle Bus and head for Sweaty Sands. – Walk towards the beach and go to the Pier. – Pick up a fishing rod, cast in, and fish from there. – Then, it’s all a waiting game. If you catch one, reel it in. – Sweaty Sands is the place to be Players have been posting their rare catches to various social media platforms since Season 4 kicked off. It appears that Sweaty Sands is a hotspot for this fish spawning, but don’t take that as a guaranteed catch spot. It is not. If you fish from the Pier, just like the instructions above say, there is a better than normal chance of reeling one in. Of course, you must balance this with other surrounding dangers when playing. Other people will also be aware of the location, and Sweaty Sands is a popular point of interest. Keep your eyes open for approaching enemies and the storm closing. If you land here, you should have plenty of time at the start of each game to squeeze some fishing in. New fish in Fortnite and where to find them This isn’t the only new species included in the v14.00 update. The following list of fish can also be found in various rarities, and it should be handy when identifying them as well. Coastal area fish Black Slurpfish (night only) – Black Striped Shieldfish – Chum Hop Flopper – Purple Jellyfish – Raven Thermalfish – Sky Blue Spicy Fish – Mountain area fish Atlantic Hop Flopper – Peely Jellyfish – Purple Slurpfish – White Spotted Spicy fish – Forest area fish Coho Hop Flopper – Drift Spicy Fish – Green Shieldfish – Green Thermalfish – Red and Green Thermalfish – Swamp area fish White Slurpfish (Night Only) – Chinook Hop Flopper – Cuddle Jellyfish – Southern Spicy Fish – Yellow Slurpfish – Fish found anywhere Black and Blue Shieldfish – Blue Slurpfish – Blue Small Fry – Light Blue Smallfry – Molten Spicyfish – Purple Top Smallfry – Purple and Orange Thermalfish – Silver Thermalfish – Slurp Jellyfish – Tan Small Fry – Reel in the rarest fish of them all and you’re talking about an incredible difference to your inventory, with all gold weapons being granted. How to cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription – Dexerto
How to cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription Epic GamesWhile the Fortnite Crew gives subscribers a fair amount of content in terms of quantity, some players may not be satisfied with the quality of the individual items that are a part of the service. Here’s how you can end your subscription if you fall into that category. [jwplayer SZcHIYV1] When the Fortnite Crew service was launched a couple months back, many had mixed feelings about the service. While it did include an inherent value due to the inclusion of the battle pass and some free V-Bucks, if you didn’t like the skin that was included that month, you’re out of luck. Because of this, you might be wondering how you can cancel the $11.99 subscription. Luckily, the solution is quick and easy and the best part is that you get to keep all of the items you previously earned through the service, even after it has ended. A cunning new warrior on a race against time approaches the Island. Vi arrives exclusively for Fortnite Crew members on February 1. Here’s where you need to go: Open the Fortnite application. – Tab over to the Item Shop. – Scroll down to the Crew section. – Click on Cancellation Info. – Select Leave Fortnite Crew at the prompt. – Like any recurring payment nowadays, you will keep your membership until your “renewal date” and then after that point, you’ll be out. While you won’t immediately done with Fortnite Crew after completing the above, you’ll no longer be charged. Also, like previously mentioned, any items acquired through the service like the Battle Pass, the exclusive skins, and emotes can still be used even after you leave, so you can be rest assured that your Green Arrow skin or your Members Only emote aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Of course, you can resub to the service at any time, so if an exclusive skin catches your eye and you feel like it’s worth it, you won’t be penalized.

How to build the Coral Buddies rocket ship for secret Fortnite challenge – Dexerto
How to build the Coral Buddies rocket ship for secret Fortnite challenge Epic Games[jwplayer Puy4UiEa]Eagle-eyed Fortnite fans will have noticed some secret challenges taking place in Season 3, and this week you’ll be helping the Coral Buddies build a space ship so they can blast up into the sky. It’s been a big week in Fortnite, with cars and vehicles finally making their debut after some delays held back their release date, alongside new Radio Stations to listen to while cruising, and important bug fixes. A new week also means new challenges, and that means the Coral Buddies are looking for your help again. Two weeks ago they were building pyramids, but science moves fast in the Buddies community, and this week they need your help building a rocket ship. Where to find Fortnite’s Coral Buddies To kick things off, you need to know where the cute little creatures reside in Season 3. If you’ve already been taking part in these challenges, you know to head to the top-left corner of the map and head for the little clump of islands just west of the lighthouse. If you’re new to these challenges though, they aren’t too hard to find. They may not be marked on the map, but head to the square B1, and you’ll spot their little home. We’ve marked the exact location on the map below to help you out. How to build the rocket ship The only tricky part of this challenge comes before you actually make it to the island, as you need to have 100 metal in your materials to give to the Coral Buddies. The easiest way to grab metal is to land on the lighthouse island and start mining at the little dock, which has a metal crane and some boats that should get you over the line. Once you make it to the island, you’ll see the Buddies have the launchpad set up, but no rocket to fly into space in. Simply walk over and hold the interact key to hand them the goods they need. Once you’ve completed the challenge, the rocket will appear and go shooting off into the sky, as the Coral Buddies embark on their next great adventure into the deep unknown. After you’ve watched the launch, you can head off in search of a Victory Royale. Completing this challenge is definitely worth it for Fortnite fans, as you receive a nice 25,000 XP reward towards your Season 3 Battle Pass, which will be very handy should you be aiming to reach Tier 100 before the season ends.

Can you cancel Boogie Bombs in Fortnite Season OG? – Dexerto
Can you cancel Boogie Bombs in Fortnite Season OG? Epic GamesBoogie Bombs are back in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG and are hard to avoid when thrown towards you. Still, if you’re wondering if you can cancel it, here’s everything you need to know about the newly unvaulted grenade in Fortnite. Boogie Bombs are back from the vault in Fortnite Season OG and considering what these tiny grenades are capable of, you have to be very careful to not fall prey to one of these. The Boogie Bomb was one of a handful of items brought back into the game in the major update, alongside player favorites like the Pump Shotgun. The grenade forces players to dance when hit, setting up an easy opportunity to nab a kill on an unsuspecting opponent. For this reason, it is important to dodge the Boogie Bomb as soon as you realize that your opponent has it in the game. Let’s dive in and check out everything there is to know about the Boogie Bomb and if you can cancel one in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG. Is there a way to cancel Boogie Bombs in Fortnite? The only way to cancel a Boogie Bomb is to take damage, or wait for the five second timer to run out. This leaves your fate in your enemies’ hand — if they are good enough, they’ll fire at you instantly with no chance to fight back. However, there’s a way that you can prevent yourself dying even when caught in an awkward situation. All you have to do is sprint and slide towards the enemy who’s poised to throw a Boogie Bomb at you. This will ensure that you run into your enemy, making them experience the effects of the grenade along with you. Although it’s not a guaranteed method and is rather easy to fail, it is a little something that can allow your teammates to cover fire for you. While it doesn’t necessarily ‘cancel’ the effect, being able to escape, thanks to the enemy getting affected by their own Boogie Bomb, is equally good. It allows you to save health and potentially your consumable items, which can become crucial in late game fights. Apart from this, there is no sure shot method which guarantees being able to dodge or cancel the Boogie Bomb. Having said that, being a bit extra careful on the island about your enemies’ presence can always go a long way. So, there you have it, that’s all you need to know about the Boogie Bomb in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG. How to build a monorail in LEGO Fortnite – Dexerto
How to build a monorail in LEGO Fortnite Epic Games / JaxBekHere’s a comprehensive guide on how to build a monorail in LEGO Fortnite if you’re curious about the process. LEGO Fortnite was added to the Battle Royale game on December 7, 2023, where it has instantly became the most popular mode. Epic Games collaborated with LEGO to bring a whole new way to play, with its building, crafting and survival game. After you have mastered the basics, you will want to make sure of the many Building Parts on offer, whether it be to create the ultimate airship to fly across your world, or in this case the monorail. In building the monorail, you will be able to use a range of building items from the Toy section in your Build menu to create a fully functional monorail system, to easily transport from one area to another, such as different biomes. Here is everything you need to know about how to build a complete functional monorail in LEGO Fortnite. How to make a monorail in LEGO Fortnite To build a monorail in LEGO Fortnite, you will need to find two high points of your world to make it between. It will then require various Building Parts, including Dynamic Foundations, Activation Switches, several Thrusters and a large amount of Thin Floors for the rails. Before you start your build, you will need to find two elevated parts of your world that have a gap opposite each other. We would recommend using two mountains or hills facing each other that are at different biomes for fast access. We would then recommend using creator Perfect Score’s method to build yourself the ultimate functional monorail in LEGO Fortnite, which is outlined below: Build your rails in a straight line, using your choice of Thin Floor (e.g. Ancient Thin Floor), from your chosen start location to your end location. – At one of the sides, place two Dynamic Foundations on the tracks next to each other, making sure they are aligned centrally with a gap in between them. – Place a Wood Foundation 02 at the front of one platform and the back of the other, so they are opposite each other, as one platform will be used to go forward and the other backward. – Place three Large Thrusters on the back of each Wood Foundation, so that the two platforms have Thrusters pointing in the opposite direction. – Place your choice of railings around each platform, to avoid falling off. – Underneath each platform, place four small wheels (two on either side of the rail with no space in between) – Finally, just place an Activation Switch on top of either platform and your monorail will be finished. – In order to use the monorail, you will just need to stand on the platform which has Thrusters facing away from the side and turn your switch on. This would then turn the Thrusters on, where you will soon blast your way across the rails to your chosen destination. Upon arrival, simply turn the switch off to stop. How to break Ballistic Shield in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to break Ballistic Shield in Fortnite Epic GamesIn Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, the Ballistic Shield has emerged as one of the most powerful items. But can you break it? Here are the methods and items required. It has been a while since Fortnite Chapter 5 began, with Season 1 bringing exciting gameplay features and items to a new Battle Royale island. Ever since the update, players have been spending their playtime between the traditional BR mode as well as three new game modes that expand the Fortnite ecosystem. However, those who are into Battle Royale are already impressed by the new weapon mods system and the revamped loot pool which alters the gameplay significantly. One item that was introduced this season is the Ballistic Shield which has now become meta in the game and is overpowered as deemed by the player base. The item when equipped, protects the user against incoming fire and has a built-in pistol that deals damage at the same time. While players are raging over the item’s durability and are figuring out ways to counter it, we’ve got the best methods using which you can easily break the Ballistic Shield barrier in Fortnite. Best methods to counter Ballistic Shield in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Ballistic Shield is a brand-new item in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 which is also used as a weapon by players. The item absorbs incoming damage from enemies and breaks the defense when the damage threshold is reached. Once the defense barrier is broken, the user cannot use the shield for a few seconds, leaving them vulnerable to incoming fire from opponents. However here are the three easiest ways you can break the Ballistic Shield and counter it in Fortnite: Use a Grapple Blade: When an enemy with a Ballistic Shield is in front of you, close in the distance by pulling yourself with the Grapple Blade and press the fire button to perform a slash attack with the blade. By performing a couple of hits, the shield barrier will break down, leaving your opponent vulnerable. – Use a Cluster Clinger: You can also throw Cluster Clingers at an enemy with a shield to deal damage to them and break the defense easily. Just make sure to aim directly at your opponent’s body or the shield’s area before you throw it. – Use a Shockwave Grenade: If your enemy is near the edge of the storm circle and closing in on you with a Ballistic Shield, throw a Shockwave Grenade in front of them to push them back and send them flying out of the zone. There’s also a bug in the game that sends players carrying the shield flying far off out of the map. – While there are common myths around pray-and-spray weapons proving as an effective counter to the Ballistic Shield, the above three methods have proven worthy during our gameplay while using the said items. How to break the Titan Hand chest chains in Fortnite Chapter 5 – Dexerto
How to break the Titan Hand chest chains in Fortnite Chapter 5 Epic GamesPrepare for the upcoming Fortnite season by tackling the pre-event challenge: break Titan Hand chest chains to progress the story. Here’s a quick guide on how to achieve this and move the event forward. Fortnite likes to make a big deal of their new seasons when they launch, and the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 2 is no different. The hand has been officially unleashed thanks to a new live event that sees the community shooting a Titan’s hand to open Pandora’s Box, bringing Greek mythology into the game. Now that the hand has surfaced, it’s going to take a lot of teamwork for players to complete the event. The chains holding the Pandora’s Box have an unknown amount of health, however, upon shooting it players will see that their bullets aren’t enough to begin breaking it. Some players have even speculated that the chains have upwards of 50 million health. How to break the Titan Hand chest chains in Fortnite Chapter 5 Recently, earthquakes have begun occurring in the game, slowly gaining in power as cracks have begun to form on the map near Ruined Reels. The event will see the Titan’s Hand emerge from these cracks, starting the event. The goal of the event in is to shoot the chains off of the giant Titan hand. These chains are what’s holding up Pandora’s Box in the giant hand’s grip. Now, the process of breaking these chains is rather simple: you, and all other players in the lobby, just need to shoot at the chains until they break. Since they are higher up on the hand, you will need to use a gun rather than a melee weapon in order to damage them. Once you begin shooting at the chains, a health bar will appear and everyone will need to whittle this down. As of now, the hand won’t fight back, so players won’t need to worry about protecting themselves during the process. As long as other players aren’t gunning for them. It appears that each chain will have its own health bar, as well, so once each health bar has been depleted, then the chain will break. Simply do this for all of them, and the box will fall. That said, the final chain is rumored to have upward of 50 billion health. The final value is unconfirmed, but this chain will take a lot more effort than the previous ones to break. How to blow up fishing holes in Fortnite’s Week 6 challenge – Dexerto
How to blow up fishing holes in Fortnite’s Week 6 challenge Epic GamesTo complete Fortnite’s Season 5 Week 6 challenges, you’ll need to blow up fishing holes. Here’s how to do that, and the locations you’ll need to visit. A new set of weekly challenges are arriving in Fortnite, meaning you’ll have more chances to quickly gain some of that all-important XP and level up your Battle Pass, hopefully unlocking some epic rewards and skins in the process. The theme for Season 5 Week 6 is fishing. You’ll need to blow up motorboats, catch fish, and signal the Coral Buddies. Two of the challenges will also require you to blow up fishing holes in specific locations. One challenge will send you to Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, and Flopper Pond, while the other will take you to Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe, and Steamy Stacks. Not sure where to find them? We’ve got you covered. Where to blow up fishing holes in Fortnite While Sweaty Sands and Steamy Stacks will be easy to find as they’re already highlighted on the map, the rest of the locations you need to visit are unnamed. Fortunately, we’ve marked them all on the handy map above. The first challenge will require you to blow up fishing holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond, meaning you can visit just one location and get them all done in one go. We’d recommend avoiding Flopper Pond as there are not many spawns there. The second challenge, though, will require you to blow up a fishing hole at each of the three locations listed: Lazy Lake Island, Lake Canoe, and near Steamy Stacks. This one will take you a bit longer to complete. How to blow up fishing holes in Fortnite Fishing holes are simply the circular locations where fish spawn. You’ll notice them when you look out across a lake or river, as there will be ripples in the water and fish will occasionally jump out of them. To blow them up, you’ll need some explosives. Your best option is to find a motorboat and use its unlimited supply of missiles to blow up fishing holes and quickly travel between the locations you need to visit. You could also use grenades, or even a rocket launcher if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of them, although that seems a bit of a waste when you could save it for taking out your opponents. If you’re looking to complete the rest of the week’s quests, make sure you check out our Fortnite Season 5 Week 6 Challenges hub.

How to avoid taking damage from Traps in Fortnite Season OG – Dexerto
How to avoid taking damage from Traps in Fortnite Season OG Epic GamesDamage Traps are back in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG and if you’re not careful, they can spoil a lot of fun for you on the island. Here’s everything you need to know about Damage Traps in Fortnite. Carrying 150 health points worth of damage, and able to be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings, Traps are an item that players always look to pick up during Fortnite matches. Apart from the sheer amount of damage they do, the element of surprise provided by these tools can come in very handy during any game of Fortnite. However, there are techniques and tricks players can use to avoid taking damage from Traps and bypass them, which can come in handy when trying to sneak up on an unsuspecting opponent. Having said that, let’s dive in and check out everything there is to know about Damage Traps and dodging them in the game. All Damage Traps in Fortnite Season OG At the start of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG, only the spiked Damage Trap has returned to the island. However, Epic has confirmed that several other Traps will be making a return over the next few weeks. Here’s a full list of Traps along with when they are expected to return in Fortnite: How to dodge Damage Traps in Fortnite Season OG? There are quite a few methods in Fortnite Season OG using which you can dodge Damage Traps without inflicting any harm to your health pool. For Wall Traps placed in a 1×1 structure, players can avoid taking damage by running tightly alongside the wall opposite to the one on which the Trap is placed. This will prevent the spikes from reaching the player and inflicting any damage on them. Another method for dodging Traps of all kinds is by simply building staircases. All you need to ensure, is that the stairs are rotated in a way that would block you from direct exposure to the face of the Trap. Placing a door and then opening it against the face of a Trap can also be a good method because the mechanic of the door opening confuses the Trap into not activating. If you find your path blocked by a Floor Trap, and have no materials to build above it, walk on the very edge of the Trap to avoid the spikes from reaching you. Ideally, you should be walking where the frame is located as that is where the spikes cannot reach you. This area is not exposed to the Trap’s sensors, and even if the spikes were to activate, they would still not present any danger. So, there you have it. That’s all there is to know about Damage Traps and how to avoid them in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG. How to avoid the Mini Shield delay in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to avoid the Mini Shield delay in Fortnite Reddit users have shared a new way to avoid the delay when drinking Mini Shields in Fortnite after the presumed glitch reared its head again following the latest patch. For some unknown reason, a bug that stopped players drinking two Small Shield Potions in quick succession found its way into the game back in September. It was eventually patched but seems to have returned following one of the late October updates. Luckily, one pioneering member of the FortniteCompetitive subreddit has shared a way to work around the delay until Epic Games fixes it or announces that it was an intended change. In a post titled ‘Best way to avoid Mini Shield delay consistently’, jmzofficial showed that negating the delay is as simple as walking backwards slightly just as you are about to finish drinking your first Small Shield Potion. “You can also quickly change weapons then go back to the mini shield if you don’t want to walk back,” another user, JrGtazky, said in response to the original post. But jmzofficial believes that his technique is slightly quicker: “Yeah I’m aware of that method, though I feel like it might be slower. I can’t quite tell.” One thing that most the Reddit users in the responses agreed on, though, was that delay shouldn’t be an issue in the first place. The walking backwards trick should server you well for the time being, but you might not have to put up with the glitch for much longer – Fortnite patch v6.21 will release on Thursday, November 1 and could well include another fix.

How to avoid fall damage with Thor’s Hammer ability in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to avoid fall damage with Thor’s Hammer ability in Fortnite Epic GamesPopular Fortnite content creator SypherPK has uncovered a way to not take fall damage when using Thor’s Hammer Strike ability – but it doesn’t work at every single height level. With Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 being all Marvel themed, some of the biggest and best heroes from the comic book giants have made their way into the battle royale. There are plenty of cosmetics and points of interest that fit the Marvel theme but when it comes to weapons, Epic Games have taken things up a notch. Not only can you find Stark Energy Rifles, but there are superpowers available too. On top of Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Groot, and Storm – Thor has his Mjölnir hammer in-game too. You can throw it down to deal some serious damage to builds, but it can also be used to avoid damage, well, fall damage anyway. That’s right, as SyperhPK points out in his September 10 upload, if you manage to have Thor’s Hammer Strike in your inventory, you can use it to avoid taking fall damage. How, you might ask? Well, as the content creator shows, you just need to have it out and targeting something as you drop from a height. You will sort of float to the ground and not lose health. That, however, doesn’t mean that you can build a sky base and hide up there all game. No. You will take damage if you drop from about 10 levels up. Anything under that, though, and you’re fine – unless someone starts shooting you, obviously. Have Thor’s Mythic ability equipped – Have it aimed so the blue target appears – Hold that open as you fall to the floor – You will have avoided fall damage – Timestamp of 4:35 Some fans might say that having the ability to avoid taking fall damage is a bit too overpowered, but given that it doesn’t work at every height, it’s clearly not game-breaking. Epic might go back to the drawing board in future updates with regards to the different superpowers but we’ll just have to keep an eye on that.

How to activate secret Alien dropship Glider feature in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to activate secret Alien dropship Glider feature in Fortnite Epic GamesFortnite Season 5’s Alien crossover introduced the Cheyenne Dropship Glider and it comes with a secret feature. Here’s how to trigger it in your next game. With dozens of options to choose from, selecting the right Glider can often be tricky. Some are more imposing than others while certain Gliders give you a rare visual flex. With Season 5’s Alien crossover, there’s a Glider you won’t want to miss. While the two iconic skins were the focal point for the bundle, the Cheyenne Dropship Glider can’t be overlooked. Fans of the franchise will easily recognize the vehicle, but even those out of the loop may still want to pick it up for one key reason. Surprisingly, it’s one of the few Gliders in Fortnite that comes with a reactive effect. This means it can change while you’re dropping into the map. Here’s how you can trigger the reaction without any hassle. How to activate the Alien Glider’s secret feature in Fortnite When it comes to reactive cosmetics, these are primarily seen with Weapon Wraps. A unique animation will appear on the gun to give you an exclusive look. While there are certain Skins, Pickaxes, and Gliders that feature these effects, they’re few and far between. With the Season 5 Alien bundle, Epic introduced one more reactive Glider into the mix. However, they did so without letting anyone know. At first glance, the Cheyenne Dropship Glider doesn’t appear to do anything out of the ordinary. A single press of a button though, and this Glider completely transforms while you’re soaring through the sky. Pressing the ‘shoot’ button on any given platform will trigger the animation mid-flight. In its original form, the Glider is huge, with four devastating missile launchers ready to fire. In its secret reactive form, these weapons are hidden away for a more compact appearance. It goes without saying that this change doesn’t have any impact on the game itself. You won’t be descending faster with this more aerodynamic style. Though you’ll certainly be dropping in with one of the more unique looks in Fortnite today. Read More: Best landing spots in Fortnite Season 5 – Not to mention, most players aren’t aware of this hidden surprise with the Glider. So if you’re wanting to style on the opposition, the Cheyenne Dropship is one of your best bets in Fortnite Season 5.

How the new Disco Domination LTM works in Fortnite, including latest changes – Dexerto
How the new Disco Domination LTM works in Fortnite, including latest changes Epic GamesThe v6.02 update brought with it several new additions into Fortnite Battle Royale, including the new Disco Domination Limited Time Mode. As its name suggests, the Disco Domination LTM is a Domination-type game mode that requires players to locate, capture, and dance on Dance Floors on the Fortnite map, earning points in the process. The team features two teams of 50 players and five Dance Floors, which will appear on the map anytime the Storm is not moving. Players will then need to get onto the Dance Floors and start doing emotes, at which point a disco ball at the center will start rising until it reaches a maximum height, signaling full capture. Once capturing one of the floors, the team’s “dance bar” will begin filling up until an enemy player stands on the floor or the Storm begins to move to the next circle. The team which fills up their bar to 100% first wins. Perhaps the most notable aspect of this mode is that it has respawning enabled up to a certain point, which makes it one of the very few LTMs in Fortnite that allows players to spawn back in after getting eliminated. Here is some gameplay of the new LTM, courtesy of popular Fortnite YouTuber ‘dakotaz.’ Since its release, Fortnite have released a hotfix implementing several changes to the mode: – Reduces the rate at which the circles close (2 Minutes per) – Increases the score requirement to win (33% Increase) – Changed last respawn circle from the 2nd to the 3rd The full details on the Disco Domination LTM, as provided in the v6.02 patch notes, can be seen below: LIMITED TIME MODE: DISCO DOMINATION Summary It’s time for the ultimate dance-off. Dance Floors have spawned around the Battle Royale island. Take them over by clearing out any enemies and then dancing to raise a disco ball up from the floor. The team that fills their meter the fastest by capturing and defending the dance floors will win the match! Mode Details Two teams battle it out! – Respawning will be turned on until the third (last) storm circle. – Five dance floors will appear on the map whenever the storm is not moving. – Emoting on a dance floor when no enemies are present will raise a disco ball in the center of the floor, and capture it for your team. The more friendly players dancing on a floor, the faster it will be captured. – – Once a floor is captured, it will begin filling the team’s “dance bar” on the HUD, until either an enemy stands on it or the current storm timer ends and the storm begins to move. The first team to fill their dance bar to 100% will win the match. – The dance floors in the later stages of the match fill the bar more quickly, so don’t give up if your team is behind! – It is not possible to build on or over the dance floors, but they can be protected by surrounding them with a fort. – Glider redeploy is activated in this mode, press jump while falling to use your glider. – This mode uses 50v50 levels of loot and resources. –

How the new Fortnite underwater Storm mechanics work – Dexerto
How the new Fortnite underwater Storm mechanics work @FortTory/TwitterThe Device event has officially wrapped up with players now looking forward to Season 3. We didn’t see any massive map changes this time around, but you might notice the Storm looks a little different, as it’s now entirely underwater. Changes to Fortnite’s Storm were definitely the biggest post-event update. While the underwater setting might not be around when Season 3 finally starts on June 17, we will be playing with it at least until then. For this reason, it’s worth learning a little bit about the new mechanics that players will have to deal with in the new look, even if it’s just for a few days. Obviously you can only swim in the new storm and not run around which isn’t exactly the speediest way to travel, but it does naturally push you in towards the center. This won’t matter if you take a vehicle like a helicopter in too high though, as you can see in the clip below, it flings you out of the vehicle using the same sound effect as Kevin the Cube. So if you don’t have any Crash Pads, you will fall to your doom if you’re up far enough. As a result, end game storms become considerably more difficult, but top-level players might already be working with the new mechanics as we write this article. You can also, according to Reddit user garrettmp17, build over the rising tides. So it seems like sky bases are back on the menu, as long as you can keep your head above water. Read More: How to make boats fly in Fortnite – Unless these changes make it into Season 3 though, we probably won’t have to deal with any kind of competitive underwater zone late in the game. Like we’ve mentioned, it’s still unclear whether or not the underwater storm will still be around once we get into Season 3, but previous leaks have pointed to a possible deep-sea theme coming with the latest content. As always, we’ll keep you updated with all the important news and information you’ll need to know once S3. For now, though, the best advice we can give is to keep yourself on dry land and steer clear of the water.

How Tfue became the world’s best Fortnite Battle Royale player – Dexerto
How Tfue became the world’s best Fortnite Battle Royale player Brought to you by Fortnite Battle Royale Collection Mini Figures from Moose Toys, which you can discover more about here. For most pro gamers, chasing the esports dream has involved certain sacrifices, with the hours spent honing virtual skills resulting in a seemingly never-ending and exhausting grind. But FaZe Clan’s star man Tfue, seemingly put on this planet to excel at every single thing he attempts, is different. Years before laying claim to the crown of the best player in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode, he was already a world record gamer in various other titles – not to mention a multiple-time champion away from his keyboard and mouse. Despite the success, the Floridian loudmouth can sometimes be deceptively humble; more likely to describe himself as ‘experienced’ as opposed to skilful. Some people are just good at everything they touch. Turner “Tfue” Tenney is one of them. Before so much as picking up a controller, he was already a renowned skim boarder who’d won a tonne of gold medals in various age groups. But that wasn’t all. Surfing, skateboarding, diving – anything remotely acrobatic, the guy could do it in his sleep. One of three brothers and a sister, Tfue was home-schooled at his beach house in Florida, with his mother and limelight-loving father believing they could provide their children with the best chance in life. Was this the right choice? Well, at least two of the kids ended up following their passions to great success. Tfue with gaming, his brother Jack – nowadays known as Jack 10E from the Joogsquad – with content creation. Is this the first Fortnite World Cup champion? The family remain incredibly close to this day. No matter how much fame and acclaim Tfue gains, it seems like that’ll never change. Their journeys started together, but older brother Jack probably held more sway in the early years. He developed an almost obsessive dedication to documenting his family’s life and making films, all leading up to May 16th, 2007, the day of his first YouTube upload. Tfue wasn’t even allowed to play games till he was 12 years old. Instead, he found joy in jumping off stuff and riding things. His extreme sport escapades were perfect for the camera – and no mere party trick, as he travelled the country with skim boarding, picking up gold medals anywhere he went. Gaming came along and it soon became clear that he’d excel at that too. He started with titles that replicated his actual life, such as Kelly Slater Pro Surfer, but soon explored further afield, experimenting with MMORPGs like RuneScape and Toon Town. All the while, brother Jack helped document it all. Whatever Tfue’s passion at the time, all of it was filmed, chopped up lovingly in Windows Movie Maker, and posted online for near enough nobody to watch. But the views didn’t matter. These talented kids were honing their respective crafts, whether the activity in question was gaming, skim boarding or long boarding. From age twelve till Destiny’s release when he was sixteen, Tfue had been taking video games ever more seriously. But through Pro Surfer to RuneScape to Halo to Call of Duty, he’d kept these skills mostly to himself. Before his first Destiny video in early 2015, he’d uploaded only a few Advanced Warfare plays. Now it was time to make YouTube more regular. He also started streaming, directly from his Xbox One. The early days of Tfue’s channel are a treasure-trove of then-records through various Destiny speed runs, including an 11 minute 34 Crota’s End run that picked up almost 200 thousand views. In June 2015 he added face cam. His streams hovered around the 30-viewer mark at that point, which may not sound like much compared to the forty or so thousand who tune in now, but it was something to build on. In total, he uploaded dozens of Destiny videos in a row, breaking countless records along the way. The only thing interrupting them was a video of a dreadlocked Tfue eating a Carolina Reaper pepper, because why not? It seemed Tfue would remain a niche on the internet that only the speed running community would ever take any interest in. His player-v-player Destiny videos, while relatively popular, just didn’t have the market reach to offer anything more than a small amount of monthly income. But then, all-of-a-sudden, the battle royale genre was blinked into existence, and as if he was still on his surfboard, Tfue rode that wave. H1Z1 ended up as a mere testing ground for future battle royale games. But in early 2017, when Denial Esports announced they’d signed an eighteen-year-old from Florida, neither org nor player were to know that. Before ever even having a real job, Tfue the now-pro gamer had found his place in life. The next goal would be to move up as much as possible within it. His H1Z1 highlight was fifth place in Battle for the Crown, which ran on US TV network The CW. He didn’t get too much airtime, but a televised money-winning performance represented a decent start in the new day job. Meanwhile, Luminosity Gaming, whose roster featured someone that would go on to play a huge part in Tfue’s story, finished two places higher in third. At this early stage in their careers, it was Tfue 0, Ninja 1. Frenemies: Tfue and Ninja In total, Tfue earned four thousand dollars in prize money from H1Z1, constantly trading first and second on the leaderboard with Ninja. The cash was nothing life-changing, but the experience of walking the walk as a pro gamer was priceless. By mid-2017 his stream was picking up hundreds of viewers every time he went live. He’d managed to gain a fanbase, with viewers joining for his skill and staying for his infectious personality. PUBG came along, and while Tfue was naturally world class, the six months he played did his stream almost no favors. His viewers stagnated. But a new title from Epic Games was about to come out, a very different battle royale that featured cartoonish graphics and a unique building mechanic. Fortnite Battle Royale instantly became Tfue’s game of choice, along with 10 million other players by the time it had been out for just two weeks. On September 30th, 2017, Tfue played it for the first time ever. He got 11 kills in his first game, and his small yet dedicated community must have dared to dream, there and then, that this game would be his big break. The rest of the world didn’t know it yet, but Tfue was laying the foundations in the title that would take him to the top, one build at a time. By April he pulled in nearly a thousand viewers every stream and was already known as one of the best in the game. A big reason for that came on February 15th, 2018, when he broke the solo kills record with a frankly ridiculous 29. His next noticeable jump in exposure came in April, when Tfue’s perpetual boxing match with Ninja – the newly-crowned king of streaming – reached the gam colourful shores for the first time. Ninja at this point was practically a deity to the millions of kids who’d signed up to Twitch just to bestow their Prime sub upon him. He was seen as undefeatable. So, when Tfue popped out of cover to deliver a single, well-timed snapshot to Ninja’s cranium, it resulted in way more exposure than it had any real right to. Tfue’s stock as a streamer was rising. Fast. But he had a competitive itch that needed scratching. Who better to turn to than the most subscribed-to esports org in the world: FaZe Clan. That announcement came in April 2018, and it brought the game’s best builder to new heights. His Twitch subs rose from eleven-hundred in March, to ten and a half thousand by May. His YouTube stats, arguably even more impressively, went from a hundred thousand subs on April 1st to practically a million by the start of the next month. In the present day, he’s racked up over 10 million YouTube subscribers. If he wasn’t already, Tfue became filthy rich overnight. But he still had work to do. FaZe had recruited him to win tournaments, and by July, Epic were ready to kickstart the Fortnite esports scene for real. Tfue and FaZe teammate Cloakzy used Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite tournaments as practice. It’s fair to say the duo showed potential, winning four of the nine events they entered and finishing second and third in two others. Ten thousand bucks per win between them was nice, but Epic’s Summer Skirmish would be a game-changer. The developer controversially locked out third parties from hosting events over a certain prize threshold, and then, never afraid to throw as many dollars at a situation as it takes to grab the headlines, announced that their inaugural event would offer eight million dollars across eight weeks. Turner with his girlfriend, Corrina Kopf Tfue had his eyes on the prize, but a year that had been so kind to him would throw up its first real failure. In three solo events he’d place seventh at best. The duo results weren’t much better, although on the opening day of Week 6 he did achieve second place alongside Yelo. That silver medal though, was as good as it got. Perhaps it was outside distractions that led to these underwhelming performances. Shortly before Week 1, Tfue’s accounts were banned as he’d publicly gone against Epic’s terms of service by trying to buy and sell login details for real money. This led many in the community to see him as arrogant; that he thought he was bigger than the game that had essentially made him. He uploaded a video twelve days prior to Week 1 apologising for his actions. He also famously claimed he’d never purchase a skin again, as it was his desperation to pick up certain limited DLC that led to his attempts to buy accounts in the first place. To his credit, the apology seemed sincere, and he made it clear that he didn’t want his fans bringing any hate to Epic when they were very much the ones in the right. The turbulence continued though. By August 14th he’d hit 3 million YouTube subs, and this success had made him a prime target for trolls. Three days before Week 6 of the Summer Skirmish, Tfue announced he’d been hacked, despite having two-step verification. No long-term damage was done. But then, one day before Week 7, Tfue was hit with his third distraction; a ban from Twitch for two weeks for reasons that were never completely cleared up. He planned to livestream on YouTube during the downtime, but it turned out that while Tfue was busy being banned from Twitch, his YouTube channel was hacked yet again – according to his father by a criminal hacker. This time, the entire channel was deleted. Every single video removed. Five years of his career gone in an instant. The lost vids returned shortly after, but all this drama coming one day before Week 7 of the Summer Skirmish hardly had a positive impact on his results. During the two weeks off, Tfue moved from his childhood home to the FaZe mansion and the bright lights of LA. But whether due to homesickness, poor internet, or just because he was missing that damn window, it wouldn’t be long before he came home. FaZe had handed everything to Tfue on a platter, treating him like a full-time vlogger. But the Summer Skirmish was more than just a mild disappointment. It was the one blot on an otherwise immaculate career. Epic’s next tournament would be a great chance to fix that. The Fall Skirmish, beginning September 1st, 2018, represented a second chance – one worth an eye-boggling ten million dollars over just a month and a half. Tfue would miss Week 1 due to an illness that was still lingering in Week 2. But any fans worried he’d been placed under some sort of curse were soon proven wrong. He finished Week 2 in first. Two weeks later, in the next solo event, he won again. 37 thousand dollars for each victory. That famous window made more than just a cameo on each occasion. At this point in Tfue’s career, 74 thousand dollars barely meant a thing. It was all about glory, and the sixth and final week of the Fall Skirmish was the only place in which he could earn it. This event, held at TwitchCon at the end of October, was the reason he’d left an LA mansion to come home. And it was here, when the pressure was greatest of all, that the underperforming duo of Tfue and Cloakzy finally lived up to their potential. Tfue and Cloakzy celebrate victory at TwitchCon 2018 In truth, Cloakzy was the better performer on the day. But that didn’t matter. Together, they’d done it; cue the confetti and the colourful characters. In a year that had taken Tfue from relative obscurity to 6.5 million YouTube subs, he finally had the only accomplishment that was missing. A premier esports title. Now he could sit back, relax, and have some fun with the incredible life he’d built for himself. Which by the way, is way easier when friends like the deep-pocketed Mr. Beast are desperate to give you gift after Mr-Magorium-style gift. For Tfue, 2019 has so far been the year of kicking back, relaxing, and finally delving into all that money. Back in October 2018 he’d reached out to internet mogul Elon Musk over Twitter and asked for better internet. After getting a positive reply, he publicly promised to pick up a Tesla. In January he finally did it. Not bad for a first car. Four days later, Tfue hit the headlines for another showdown with Ninja. In Ninja’s eyes, the apparent no-name he was up against was so good that the only explanation was that he was hacking. In fairness, once Ninja realised it was actually Tfue, he called him a god. He also would’ve played the situation very differently if he’d known who he was up against. The fact remains though that a chicken-suited Tfue was good enough to toy with his prey. With Ninja once more kicked to the curb, Tfue soon got back to his new favourite hobby: eating into his savings. In February, he uploaded a VLOG of himself spending a million dollars in a single day. Some went on gifts for his fans, some went on a shiny new jet ski, but the biggest investment of all was an abandoned warehouse that will presumably go on to feature in his YouTube videos. Tfue’s spending spree was all fun and games, but it soon started to affect him as a competitor. Going into March’s ESL Royale in Katowice, Tfue was the highest earner in the game’s history with 478 thousand dollars. But he chose not to travel to the event, forfeiting top spot to Ghost Gaming’s Bizzle. Instead of travelling to Poland to compete and meet his fans, he stayed home and streamed; a decision which naturally split opinion. Some felt it was fair for Tfue to focus on streaming, especially when the prizes were relatively low, with the top duos team winning 80k between them and the solos victor picking up just 20k. He was also rumoured to have a new girlfriend in Corinna Kopf, and leaving her would’ve been low in his list of priorities. Others understandably saw this as yet another sign of Tfue’s arrogance. His own explanations for why he would be staying didn’t exactly help. Looking purely at the numbers, it’s arguable that he made the right business decision. As of late March 2019, his stream remains firmly camped in the top 10 of the Twitch charts. Back in January he’d stuck firm with Fortnite Battle Royale as seemingly everyone else had moved on to Apex Legends. The decision paid off, with tens of thousands of viewers who only had eyes for Epic’s game jumping ship to Team Tfue. At the time of writing he has an estimated 40 thousand Twitch subs. Ninja, the now-former king of Twitch, sits at just under 30k. Tfue’s fans will have high hopes that, despite missing the Katowice Royale, the competitive fire still burns strongly within. July’s upcoming World Cup will be the ultimate litmus test, and Tfue will most likely see this as the true place to defend his Fall Skirmish title. With one million dollars in prizes on offer across each of the ten weeks of online open qualifiers, the financial muscle is there to make him care. But as with the Fall Skirmish, only a grand finals victory can provide any genuine glory. On July 26th, Tfue will hope to be sat there in New York City, competing for a top prize of three million dollars. Turner “Tfue” Tenney is a figure that continues to divide opinion. To some he represents all that excites about esports. Despite the millions in the bank and the occasional controversy, he still lives in his family home, streaming tirelessly for his fans from that same old bedroom. This alone, proof enough that his father was right all along: money isn’t everything. To others, Tfue’s finally run out of respect for a gaming scene he used to love so much and ditching the Katowice Royale may have been a watershed moment that confirmed a shift in his motivations. Tfue is, without question, one of the greatest to ever drop on Tilted Towers. As the now-second highest earner in the game’s history, he has the credentials to prove it. But going forwards, nothing less than World Cup glory will cement him as the undisputed best to ever play the game. The only question is: how much does he still want it?

How rare are Mythic Goldfish in Fortnite Chapter 2? – Dexerto
How rare are Mythic Goldfish in Fortnite Chapter 2? The Fortnite Fishing Frenzy event has wrapped up, and over 25 million fish were caught over the weekend it ran, but barely any of those were Mythic Goldfish. Fortnite Chapter 2 introduced a brand-new mechanic that allowed players to fish for things such as weapons, building materials, and even actual fish that healed you. Epic Games decided to host a little competition over the weekend of November 22 and 24 that tasked players with catching a variety of fish, with six different prizes up for grabs. One of those prizes was a Bottom Feeder pickaxe, which would be rewarded to anybody who caught a Mythic Goldfish. Amazingly, only 34 of those pickaxes were handed out as that’s just how many Mythic Goldfish were caught during the whole competition. This makes Mythic Goldfish among the rarest things in all of Fortnite and for a good reason. If players can get their hands on one, it will dish out 200 damage to an enemy player, taking them out in one shot even if they have full health and shield. While we don’t know the total number of fish that were caught throughout the competition, we do have confirmation that it was over 25 million. 25,449,224 fish have been caught since the #FortniteFishingFrenzy started 🎣 Remember to enable 2FA to be eligible for prizes: https://t.co/8AWCksrtKy pic.twitter.com/YLGBNesgCi — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 23, 2019 Taking 25 million as the number of fish caught, that would leave players with just a 0.000136% chance to catch a Mythic Goldfish. Those are terrible odds, so if you’re ever trying to find one in the wild actively, it’s going to take an extremely long time. Epic Games have never outright come out and said the actual odds of finding a Mythic Goldfish, but it’s looking like it’s a super low number. There are three separate achievements tied to this goldfish – catching it, eliminating players, and one for being eliminated by it. This means the completionists out there will have to look hard if they want to do everything Fortnite has to offer. A select few numbers have only seen the Mythic Goldfish of players, so it’s not surprising to see this little number fished up. What it does show is this is a scarce fish to find, so if you ever do find yourself with one, don’t put it to waste. With this being a 1-shot elimination, you’ll only have one opportunity, so you better make sure it counts. Just know that the odds are certainly not in your favor.

How Much Does the Average Fortnite Player Spend on In-Game Purchases? – Dexerto
How Much Does the Average Fortnite Player Spend on In-Game Purchases? New research shows just how Epic Games is generating those eye-watering revenue figures every month, with their innovative in-game purchases model driving engagement. Fortnite Battle Royale is an entirely free-to-play game. It is free to download, every weapon is free and you don’t even need to pay for PlayStation Plus to play with friends online on the console – but Epic Games are still raking in record breaking amounts of money. In May alone, estimates place the total revenue from Fortnite to be $318 million – a staggering amount for any game, let alone a completely free one. Fortnite makes its money in a similar way to many of its contemporaries, with ‘in-game’ purchases. Items like character skins, back bling, gliders and emotes all cost real money in the form of ‘V-bucks’ to purchase. More: Playing “More Fortnite Than Ever” Is the Key to Success for Harry Kane and England at the World Cup – But how Fortnite differs from many of its rivals, is that paying customers do not rely on chance. There are no ‘loot boxes’ or ‘supply drops’, buzzwords associated with the increasing monetization of gaming. Instead, players can simply select the item they want to buy, pay for it and it is theirs, with no lucky dip involved. Players are incentivized to purchase items as soon as they become available due to the ‘daily items’ system, with items up for sale changing each day. Couple this with players always wanting to have the newest skin or emote, and fans are going wild for every new item added. Research done by LendEDU shows that a Fortnite player will spend an average of $84.67. here.

How much do Fortnite pros make per hour? Bugha, Chap, more – Dexerto
How much do Fortnite pros make per hour? Bugha, Chap, more Epic GamesFortnite became famed for earning young kids a lot of money, especially thanks to the $30m Fortnite World Cup event – but now we know how much that would equate to in hourly earnings. While the rest of us try to make ends meet on a standard salary, some of these players – from as young as 13 or 14 years old – were making hundreds of thousands from Fortnite, be it through salary, stream earnings to tournament winnings. But tournament winnings are what really counts, separating the best in the world to those on their way up, and it’s what all competitors aspire to when they first start out. That’s where Fortnite Tracker stepped in, offering to break down players’ earnings into a simple hourly earning calculation, and some of the results are interesting. These results only include time spent in matchmaking – not waiting in the lobby, in Creative or Playground modes or anything else, so is purely a breakdown of in-game time. To calculate, they simply divided the player’s online earnings by the number of hours played. This does mean that for the most part, unless specified, figures do not include earnings from the likes of World Cup, DreamHack events or any other LAN. Fortnite pros hourly earnings Ryan ‘Chap‘ Chaplo – $62.11/hr – Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf – $94.93/hr ($3,846.07/hr including World Cup) – Evan ‘cented‘ Barron – $97.79/hr – Rocco ‘Saf‘ Morales – $120.77/hr – Dominick ‘UnknownxArmy1x‘ Green – $138.21/hr – Jonathan ‘yung calculator’ Weber – $180.88/hr – Dmitri ‘Mitr0‘ Van de Vrie – $188.36/hr – Anthony ‘ZexRow‘ Colandro – $248.70/hr – These are some of the more interesting results, though you can see every response in the original Tweet thread below: For April Fools, we’re going to let the numbers speak for themselves To all self declared Fortnite “Pros” – comment your IGN and we’ll calculate how much you make per hour in Fortnite (total hours played ÷ tournament earnings) We’re about to expose some burger flippers today 🍔 — Fortnite Tracker (@FortniteTracker) April 1, 2020 It would be interesting to have seen results for the likes of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff or Kyle ‘Mongraal’Jackson, who are arguably some of the biggest names to come out of the competitive Fortnite scene and each will have made some decent earnings along the way. Other streamers, such as Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, may not have as high earnings as their peers listed above, but likely aren’t too concerned considering how much they make from content creation. Even players like Bugha and Chap will have much higher earnings if you included revenue from their streams and YouTube, which is really the main income source, even for those who play competitively.

How long do Fortnite seasons last? – Dexerto
How long do Fortnite seasons last? Epic GamesFortnite regularly launches brand-new seasons, each bringing a completely new theme and tons of fresh content. However, the duration for each season has proved to be similar. Since launching in 2017, Fortnite has released five chapters and 31 individual seasons. Every new season has shaken up the Battle Royale island in a huge way, including map changes, new weapons, NPCs, and quests, as well as plenty of skin and cosmetic rewards. However, whether a Fortnite season has just been launched or is drawing to a close, players always look forward to the next one and often wonder how long the current season will last. So, here’s everything you need to know about the length of Fortnite seasons. How long is a Fortnite season? A Fortnite season lasts around 80 days or roughly three months. For instance, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG merely lasted a month before Chapter 5 was out. On the other hand, most of Chapter 2’s seasons were longer with Season 1 lasting for a whopping 128 days, while the first-ever Fortnite season ran for only 50 days. However, if you’d like to check when an ongoing Fortnite Battle Royale season will end, you can do so by navigating to your Battle Pass menu and looking at the pass’ end date at the bottom left. Fortnite: How to vote for skins and cosmetics with Item Shop Voting – Dexerto
Fortnite: How to vote for skins and cosmetics with Item Shop Voting A brand new feature has launched in Fortnite with the v10.30 update, bringing the leaked item shop voting to the in-game store – here’s how the system works, and how you can vote. The Fortnite item shop is unique, in that it cycles new and returning cosmetics in and out of sale for limited periods of time, meaning if you don’t purchase a certain skin or item before it is rotated, you might have to wait a while for it to come back. Epic Games are looking to change this system, and the introduction of item shop voting will make all the difference, finally allowing the player base to have a direct say over what items are available. How Item Shop Voting works in Fortnite Epic will be running ‘Community Choice Events’, allowing every player to vote, once a day, for the specific item you want to see return to the store. Read More: All map changes in Fortnite patch v10.30 – Once you’ve voted for one item, you will then be able to vote on another the next day, and so on. During these Community Choice Events, various cosmetic items will ‘battle’ against each other for players’ votes. The winning item from the votes will then be made available in the item shop, for a limited time. The first Community Choice Event begins on September 11 at 5PM PST / 8PM EST / 1AM BST (Sept 12), at which time you will be able to cast your first vote. Leakers had already discovered game files hinting at the voting system and uncovered images of what it looks like in-game. Item Shop Voting official announcement: Heya Fortnite Community, We’re testing a new feature that gives you the power to vote for what comes back to a new Item Shop slot: Community Choice! When this feature is available, Item Shop content will battle against one another, and you can place your vote on what returns for an encore. How Does It Work? How Iron Man is upgrading the Fortnite Battle Bus in Season 4 – Dexerto
How Iron Man is upgrading the Fortnite Battle Bus in Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite’s Marvel themed Season 4 is only a few weeks in, but the ongoing storyline continues to evolve as new leaks have revealed Tony Stark’s next move – one that involves the iconic Battle Bus. Since Fortnite’s release in 2017, the bus has been a staple of the battle royale experience. It’s how every match begins and it’s how every player drops into the map. Other games have pivoted to planes, individual drop pods, and plenty of other ideas. All the while, Fortnite’s Battle Bus has remained constant. Other than adding the option to thank the bus driver, there haven’t been many changes to the classic feature. Occasionally it’ll get a new coat for paint for special occasions, but that’s about it. However, the Battle Bus could soon be in for its biggest overhaul to date, if new leaks hold true. Tony Stark has his sights set on changing the Fortnite bus in the weeks to come. Here’s how the Marvel figure is looking to upgrade it. “”Upgraded Battle Bus”” This will be a battle bus we will end up seeing for the remainder of the season later down the line. Also the Birthday Battle Bus is returning 🙂 pic.twitter.com/RuuV7yZ5UM — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) September 23, 2020 An “Upgraded Battle Bus” is what slipped through the cracks in the last Fortnite update on Sep. 23. Thanks to prominent dataminers ‘iFireMonkey’ and ‘HYPEX,’ we’re able to see just what this upgraded version looks and sounds like. A new version of the bus texture features a bunch of added cabling all around. From wires along the sides to containers and miscellaneous tech on the roof, something big is in the works. It’s worth noting that this version on display was merely labeled “BusUpgrade1,” meaning that future upgrades could be on the way too. Leaked audio files make the bus sound a lot quieter than usual after takeoff. Perhaps it’s running on Stark’s Arc Reactor power source, paving the way for improvements? New Bus sounds for the upgraded Battle Bus. pic.twitter.com/kVaC2Exbxe — HYPEX (@HYPEX) September 23, 2020 There’s no telling just when the upgrades might go through, though Stark is already tinkering away in-game from the looks of it. “The Battle Bus can now be found inside the workshop at Stark Industries,” Reddit user ‘updoggggggg’ shared on September 24. Barely at the halfway point of the season, there’s still plenty of time for changes to come through. There’s a chance it may even be upgrading the bus for a future off-planet battle tied into the Season 4 narrative. We’ll have to wait and see.

How Fortnite Weapon Mods work: Attachments explained – Dexerto
How Fortnite Weapon Mods work: Attachments explained Epic Games / DexertoHere are all Weapon Mods in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 and how you can use them to customize your weapons with a range of attachments to create the best guns for your play style. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has continued to carry over the Weapon Mods feature first introduced at the start of Chapter 5. Epic has shaken up the meta once again this season by adding and removing weapons from its ever-changing roster, but the mods you can attach to your guns remain the same. Weapon Mods allows players to enhance their weapons with various attachments during Fortnite matches, a feature commonly seen in popular Battle Royale games, such as Apex Legends. Here’s a detailed overview of how Weapon Mods operate this season. How to use Weapon Mods in Fortnite Weapon Mods can be used in Fortnite by interacting with any of the 9 Mod Benches that are located inside Weapon Bunkers across the Chapter 5 Season 4 map. Once inside the bunker, just head over to the Weapon Mod Bench and press the use button to open the mod menu and customize your weapon. Despite Epic not adding in any new Weapon Mods for Chapter for this season, they have scrapped the old Mod Bench UI for attaching the mods during your matches. Instead, it has been replaced by a much more sleeker and simplistic menu design that is here to stay. Mods are available here for several weapons in exchange for 75 Gold Bars each. You can add up to four different weapon attachments − Optic, Barrel, Magazine, and Underbarrel. Simply just select each attachment you want for each of your guns and then hold down the “Buy & Equip” button to make your purchase. Moreover, you can also acquire weapons from a loot chest which will already have a mod installed to it. Different weapons across several rarities will have a fixed number of mods attached to them already: Uncommon Rarity Weapon – One pre-installed Weapon Mod. – Rare Rarity Weapon – Two pre-installed Weapon Mods. – Epic Rarity Weapon – Three pre-installed Weapon Mods. – Legendary Rarity Weapon – Four pre-installed Weapon Mods. – Although some weapons will already be modded, you can still replace the attachments using a Mod Bench and choose your preferred mod. Also, bear in mind that mod-compatible weapons aren’t for sale from Characters or Vending Machines, so make sure to keep an eye out for loot. All Weapon Mod Attachments in Fortnite There are 12 Weapon Mod Attachments you can get in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Here’s a list of all Weapon Mod Attachments you can use on your guns and their benefits. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is filled with Marvel superpowers, new weapons, and a fresh roster of NPCs.

How Fortnite Season 5’s leaked black hole could save the game – Dexerto
How Fortnite Season 5’s leaked black hole could save the game Epic GamesFortnite has been in a state of purgatory since Chapter 2 started up, with long-running seasons, content droughts, and many of its biggest creators abandoning it for games like Warzone and Among Us. But, if the leaked black hole event is true, things could change. The buzz of Chapter 1 has never really returned to Epic Games‘ strange world of silent characters. There has been endless crossovers, no patch notes to show players what they could be missing out on, and generally that feeling of developers being a step ahead of the game is frankly a distant memory. Think back to the biggest moments in history for Fortnite. This game had everybody talking about the Infinity Blade, and remember the whole streaming space fighting a corner on planes being added. There was genuine hype for each update, and there still is – just to a much, much lesser extent. Latest leaks from Fortnite Season 5 have included everything from a crossover with The Mandalorian (and three cheers for Baby Yoda), but really it’s the black hole leak we’re crossing our fingers for. In a world of flash of the pans, we’ve seen Fall Guys, Among Us, and there will be another. But, if Epic Games want to bring back the core audience they built in the first place, things need to change and fast. A black hole leaves many possibilities on the table, and here’s just a few. Map changes and rotation One thing that is for certain is the need for map changes. The Chapter 2 map has been tweaked and moved around, with new POIs coming in, though if we think back to the tremendous expansions and shifts for Chapter 1 – it’s been insignificant. Remember how the island adapted and completely froze over for Season 7, or even the Season 8 introduction of a volcano. We had robots being built on the tallest parts of the map, and rockets ready to fire us into space. With a black hole comes the opportunity to take us back to those crazy times, or even have a map rotation that occurs periodically – much like Apex Legends – that allows us access to play both Chapters at one time. This would mix things up and keep gameplay fresh in Fortnite Season 5, rotating between the two and having them both connected. New weapons and items The crazy and often mindboggling nature of new weapons/items has faded away. Every change used to spark a debate or catch the eye. Lately, it’s been as underwhelming and as irrelevant a game than at any other time in its history. It doesn’t have to be this way, though. There’s nothing really stopping Epic from going crazy once again though. Whether people liked it or not, that’s what got people playing it in the first place. From one week to the next, you didn’t know if you were playing the same game. It changed so rapidly, and a big part of that was mixing up the loot. Throw a spanner in the works, an item or ability that makes you first-person while holding it. Bring back rocket launchers and take us back to simpler times. Add guns and items we’ve never seen before, to shake up the meta. Abandon superheroes in Fortnite Season 5, once and for all Last on our wish list is basically to scrap this superhero obsession. The franchise has moved from crossover to crossover, working with some of the biggest franchises in history to bring their characters to life in-game. That’s all well and good, but has it really made the game better to play? Sure, you can now choose to jump in as one of the Avengers or Aquaman, but the story doesn’t have to be built around that. The great thing about map developments and gameplay differences in the early seasons was that not one person knew what was happening next. You would be glued to leaker accounts and sniffing around for new details. Next up on the Fortnite calendar is the Galactus event – we know that for certain. Fighting Galactus Tip #87: Don’t forget your jet pack Prepare for the final battle. 12.1.20 4 PM ET pic.twitter.com/YBnQzqlFqZ — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 26, 2020 For quite some time now, we’ve known what the Galactus event was going to be all about, and of course, there’s some hype. But it’s all pretty predictable. The heroes will be under siege, pull something out of the bag, and we’ll all escape the world eater by some miracle to kick off Fortnite Season 5. The first black hole had everybody gripped and you won’t recreate that sense of wonder. Some people thought the game was just ending. This time, if the leaks are to be true, let’s hope the black hole adds never-before-seen map changes. If it doesn’t happen now, there’s a good chance that when it eventually does happen, hardly anybody will care anymore. This game needs a refresh now.

How to fish in Fortnite Chapter 2: rod locations, best spots, loot – Dexerto
How to fish in Fortnite Chapter 2: rod locations, best spots, loot Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 2 ditched the old map and brought in a completely new one that features a new mechanic that allows players to fish for weapons. Here’s how to fish in the game. Loot Lake used to be the main source of water on the Fortnite map but that has all changed with the Chapter 2 map as water now covers a lot of it. To help make traveling easier, Epic introduced boats that allow players to zip around the waterways and also added fishing as a leisure activity. Fishing in Fortnite is surprisingly deep so let’s just dive right in and learn about everything there is to know about the new feature. Where to find a fishing rod in Fortnite Chapter 2 If you’re looking to fish in Fortnite, then you’ll need to get a fishing rod first. Luckily, these are sprinkled all around the map and can usually be found by bodies of water. Read More: All new weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 – You’ll be able to find them in a barrel near the water, or you can loot them off enemies. The rods will take up a spot in your inventory so you might have to make some sacrifices when deciding what to drop. How to use the fishing rod Once you get the fishing rod, it’s pretty easy to use. All you’ll have to do is cast into the water where you want and wait for bubbles to surface before you snap back the line. Casting is done by hitting the right trigger or your right mouse button, but in case you can’t remember, Fortnite will display the controls directly on your screen. You’ll then bring and item out of the water and depending on what it was, you might want to throw the line back in. There’s a lot of different things you can get from the water so spend some time trying to fish it all out. Best spots to go fishing Most players will begin fishing right when they find the fishing rods, but there are some better spots out there. The fish you catch can be used to heal you, so it’s more beneficial if you’re able to pull in the rarer fish for a bigger boost in health. Rare fishing spots are indicated by the school of fish all circling around a specific spot. All you’ll have to do is toss your line in to catch them. These fish will provide extra health so they will make a nice addition to your inventory if you need healing. What can you fish up? There is a lot you can grab from the rivers and pretty much all of it is useful in some way. If you’re gathering a bunch of fish, you’ll be able to carry those around instead of bandages. Floppers will provide you with 50 HP and you are able to stack two of them. Slurp fish will essentially act as a Slurp Juice, so fishing is definitely not something you should overlook. If you’re getting guns then you won’t have to rely on looting or eliminating enemies. There’s even a chance you can come up with a tin can, which deals a small amount of damage to enemies when you throw them. There’s also a chance you could scoop up some building materials so fishing could potentially replace all of your early-game looting, provided you’re lucky enough. Being the first one to fish in a match will also get you some bonus XP so there’s a lot of benefits for casting your line. There you have it! This is everything you need to know to become a master of fishing in Fortnite. Just make sure you aren’t engulfed by the storm while casting your line in the river!

How FaZe Jarvis tricked the internet with his ‘return’ to Fortnite – Dexerto
How FaZe Jarvis tricked the internet with his ‘return’ to Fortnite YouTube: FaZe Jarvis / Epic GamesFaZe Clan’s Jarvis ‘Jarvis’ Khattri set the internet ablaze with his return to Fortnite on Twitch, though the historic stream that resulted in yet another ‘ban’ from Epic Games wasn’t quite as it seemed. Jarvis catapulted even further into stardom in November 2019 upon being hit with a permanent Fortnite ban. Since then, he’s been unable to broadcast the game or create any form of content involving the battle royale. When he announced his return through a simple tweet 10 months later, it came as no surprise when it blew up. All of the biggest Fortnite professionals and streamers couldn’t quite believe that Jarvis was about to play again. It seemed too good to be true, and that’s because it was. A video uploaded after the fact revealed how the entire event was a massive troll. Jarvis never actually played Fortnite on stream. He bamboozled everyone on the internet, even us. Here’s how he pulled it off. It’s been nearly a year since Epic banned me. Tonight @ 6PM PST I’m playing Fortnite for the first time back on Twitch. See you there. — Jarvis (@liljarviss) September 11, 2020 On the day of the shocking stream, Jarvis sent out a simple tweet to announce his ‘return.’ In just 25 minutes, the post was met with more than 12,000 likes as engagement was through the roof. From benjyfishy to Mongraal and plenty others, it came as shock to other players that Jarvis would go against the permanent ban from Epic Games. Before the stream went live, the FaZe crew had set things up perfectly. As it turns out, Jarvis was never actually playing Fortnite while live on Twitch that day. A streamer by the name of ‘SlaterKodish’ was just out of frame playing with a controller instead. Every build, every shot, every movement was all executed by him off-screen while Jarvis mimicked with his own controller. “If Jarvis was to lift his hand once, it would have been game over,” other members in the FaZe Clan house explained. If he slipped up for even a split second, the illusion would have been ruined and the troll would have been exposed. Over 50,000 unique viewers tuned in live for what was an extremely short-lived broadcast. The Epic ID for the account used was flashed briefly during the stream, leading to a fresh ban from the developers before SlaterKodish could even finish the first game for Jarvis. Shortly after the ban came through, the stream came to an abrupt end to give off the impression that FaZe management wasn’t happy with Jarvis. “We did it,” he yelled just seconds after the broadcast was cut off. “We just trolled the f***ing world.” So while thousands were duped into believing that they watched Jarvis play Fortnite for the first time in almost a year, it came with a hefty cost. Epic’s latest ban wasn’t just for that account. An IP ban was issued, meaning that no one in the FaZe house will be able to play Fortnite again. Well, until they change their IP.

How to find Fortnite’s hidden Battle Star for Season 10, Week 6 Missions – Dexerto
How to find Fortnite’s hidden Battle Star for Season 10, Week 6 Missions Epic Gamesv10.20 Content Update, which went live on Tuesday, September 3 and introduced the brand new Zapper Trap item, as well as bringing back two of the game’s most popular locations in Motel and Floating Island. As always, a fresh set of Missions will also appear in Week 6, which means players will be able to unlock a brand-new loading screen, and the hidden Battle Star too. To grab the Week 6 Battle Star, Fortnite players will need to complete three of this week’s missions, which will then reward you with a loading screen which shows the Floating Island hovering ominously over Fatal Fields. The farm is where you’ll need to go this week, as hidden in the image is a Battle Star, marking the exact location you need to head to if you want to collect your free Battle Pass tier. In the loading screen, you’ll be able to see the lake that sits behind the red barn at Fatal Fields, south-east of the lone house which stands in the location, with a wooden dock jutting out into the water. Sitting on that dock are some random items such as a water cooler, but more importantly the hidden Battle Star, which players simply need to walk over to and interact with once they have finished three Week 6 missions. Remember, you must complete three of the Fortnite Season 10, Week 6 Missions before you can find the hidden Battle Star, so don’t head to Fatal Fields expecting it to appear if you haven’t finished three challenges yet.

How ‘Double Pump’ Shotguns are possible in Fortnite Season 5 – Dexerto
How ‘Double Pump’ Shotguns are possible in Fortnite Season 5 Epic GamesFortnite players have found a way to revive the old ‘Double Pump’ shotgun rotation strategy in Chapter 2 Season 5, but it’s hard to tell whether it’s a glitch or an intended feature. Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 introduced many things into the game. However, players have been losing their minds over some of the new shotguns, and more specifically, what they’ve been able to do with them. The Dragon’s Breath is arguably the weakest shotgun in the game. It’s technically a pistol that shoots like a double-barrel shotgun. It looks cool, deals decent damage, and has some interesting tricks, but the slow reload speed, and limited magazine size let it down. The Dub, on the other hand, is a rework of an old classic. It’s a proper double-barrel shotgun with an impressive knockback effect. However, players won’t see too many of them anytime soon. The Dub is one of the new Exotic weapons that can only be bought from an NPC. It also has a high price. So, it’ll take some time before Fortnite players can actually afford it. But it’ll definitely be a popular choice, especially due to one incredible feature (or glitch). The Dub is special in the sense that it isn’t affected by the shotgun cooldown timer. For those who don’t know, it was added early in Fortnite Chapter 1 to address the ‘Double Pump’ and ‘Pump-Tac’ meta. It can be used alongside a Tac or Charge without affecting the delay. YouTubers like OramgeGuy have been using it to their heart’s desire. Here’s his quick explanation on how to do it. It’s hard to tell whether it’s an intended feature or a glitch. The consensus leans towards the latter since it doesn’t happen with the Dragon’s Breath, even though it could really benefit from it. Either way, Epic Games will probably address it sometime soon. If it’s a glitch, it’s only a matter of time before they fix it. However, if it’s an intended feature, they’ll surely talk about it in more detail.

How does the new ‘Events’ tab and in-game tournament system work in Fortnite? – Dexerto
How does the new ‘Events’ tab and in-game tournament system work in Fortnite? One of the most exciting aspects of the October 16 V6.10 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale is the introduction of the all-new ‘Events’ tab. Originally announced October 15, the Events tab is now live and will give players the chance to take part in competitions and tournaments in-game, without the use of the third party sites or organizers, and should make it significantly easier for aspiring competitive players to get a foot in the door. But how exactly does it work? Well, according to the developers this is the very first open online competition for the game and is very simple to get used to. “Events have scheduled tournament sessions for you to play in. After you’ve selected one of the tournaments, you’ll see when the session is set to begin so you can warm up or talk strategy with your squad.” How do the tournaments work? Each tournament session begins with a completely clean slate, so all players will begin with the same score and compete over a number of hours to earn points in a variety of ways. Matchmaking during a tournament session will match players with opponents that are on similar point standings, so you’ll continuously be playing against people in a similar skill group. Tournaments will feature a target score and players that achieve it will earn a special pin. According to the developers, these pins may advance you to the next round of ongoing tournaments or earn you a prize in the future. What platform will the competitions be played on? Every platform will be used for the tournaments, meaning that PC players will be matched up with users on consoles or even touchscreen devices: “players from all platforms will compete against one another as equals, regardless of if they are on a Mouse, Controller, or Touch input device. Every player will participate in the same competitions from start to finish, with equal opportunity to rise above the competition.” This means that you will have to opt-in and enable cross-platform play in order to compete in the tournaments. When do tournaments begin? A number of tournaments have been made available with the release of the new in-game competitions tab. The events will be scheduled in North America, Europe, Brazil, Asia and Oceania – you’ll be able to check the exact time for your region when you look at the event. The first tournaments are as follows: Alpha Tournament (Solo) Dates: October 16 – October 21 – Description: Participate in the first in-game tournament, spanning across several days of daily competition! – – Beta Tournament (Duo) Dates: October 23 – October 25 – Description: Grab a friend and take on the world – until you are the last two left. – – Friday Night Fortnite (Squad) Dates: October 19 – November 30 – Description: Join your friends every Friday and kick off your weekend with some exciting Squad action. – – Salty Springs Cup (Solo) Dates: October 27 – October 31 – Description: One week and three attempts to prove you’re the saltiest that Salty Springs has to offer. – – Tomato Temple Cup (Duo) Dates: October 28 – November 1 – Description: Become legends of the Tomato Temple Cup. – – What’s the long-term plan? Epic Games say that they will be: “Continuing to develop the tournaments feature to allow for events to occur across multiple rounds, requiring players to have earned a pin to qualify for each subsequent round.” The developers also say that they are working towards developing an “exciting and varied” tournament schedule for players of all levels to enjoy around the world. There will also be a chance later in the year to qualify for the 2019 Fortnite World Cup directly through a “Showdown Royale” event which will use the in-game tournament system.

How to do cone boost movement exploit in Fortnite – Dexerto
How to do cone boost movement exploit in Fortnite FortniteFortnite players have always loved finding new ways to traverse their surroundings easier, and the discovery of a new ‘cone boost’ may help some players elevate their game even further. Ramp boosting has become a common tactic in the battle royale game, with players using it to get a slight speed boost while traversing the map so as to get around quicker – which is especially helpful since the removal of much of the mobility at the start of Season X. It requires the player to build a ramp over their heads at just the right time and then jumping whilst running, meaning their character model phases through and is essentially pushed forward by the ramp. Now, a Reddit user has found a way to cone boost – essentially the same trick but using the cone build as opposed to the ramp. You can see the advantages of doing this; you get the same movement boost as from a ramp, but you can use the cone’s walls to keep yourself protected. This could be incredibly helpful in endgame situations when you’re rotating to the new zone, and the user who created the post gives a very handy walkthrough of how to perform the cone boost. As he explains, you have to edit out one corner of the cone whilst standing on the edge of the opposite corner. Doing this means the cone will edit to have your character’s head phased through, and then it’s as simple as using the same movement as in the more common ramp boost. Evidently, it’s more difficult than the ramp boost, requiring a better grasp of your exact position and timing, but once you get it down this could become incredibly helpful for rotation and accelerated movement, as well as staying protected whilst doing so. With the end of Season X coming and Season 11 getting closer every day, you’ll want to try and get this down before the new season starts. We don’t know much about how Season 11 will play out yet, and this type of movement could become imperative going forward.

Hints at rideable animals coming to Fortnite Battle Royale discovered in game files – Dexerto
Hints at rideable animals coming to Fortnite Battle Royale discovered in game files Data miners are always busy digging through the game files of Fortnite, and this time have come across a file with a very specific description, possibly hinting at rideable animals, or other vehicles of some kind. Currently, Fortnite has very limited vehicle choice, which is likely a conscious decision on the part of Epic Games, given the size of the map and the speed in which you can move around it already. However, there are Shopping Carts, All Terrain Karts and the new Quadcrasher vehicle, all of which will help you out in a pinch. Players seem to really welcome new vehicles too, more so even than new weapons or consumables, likely because vehicles do not impact the general balance or ‘meta’ of the game. And so, it looks like Epic has a few more vehicle ideas in the works, one of which possible involves riding animals, as a game file named ‘Antelope’ was discovered in a ‘Drivable Vehicles’ folder. This information comes via FNBRLeaks, a popular leaker of all things Fortnite, but of course is just a leak at this point, far from confirmed officially. There’s some “”Antelope”” Vehicle in the “”Drivable Vehicles”” Folder. If it is anything, it’s nowhere close to complete. It may or may not be a new vehicle we see in the future, but who knows. pic.twitter.com/tpgwuRzvYg — Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks (@FNBRLeaks) October 18, 2018 Whether the term ‘Antelope’ literally refers to an antelope, or if this is a development name or the name of a certain powered vehicle, we don’t know. However, it is the first time that a vehicle of some kind has been named after an animal, certainly strongly hinting at the possibility of rideable animals. It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise either, considering Epic recently added the ‘Giddy-Up’ skin, which makes the player look as though they are riding a Llama, and ‘pets’ were also added to the game in the form of back bling.

How 100 Thieves Fortnite duo Ceice and Elevate spent their World Cup winnings – Dexerto
How 100 Thieves Fortnite duo Ceice and Elevate spent their World Cup winnings 100 Thieves100 Thieves Fortnite World Cup duo Davis ‘Ceice’ McClellan and Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger are one of the game’s most popular partnerships and in an episode of the Selfmade podcast they revealed how they spent their winnings. Ceice and Elevate finished in third during the Fortnite World Cup back in July which meant they came with $1.8 million to be split between the two players. That’s a lot of money for anyone, but especially so for a pair of players who are only just getting started in their esports careers. In an appearance on Selfmade with Nadeshot, the two pro players revealed just what they did with their massive earnings from the World Cup. Ceice said everyone that came out to the event to support him received $1,000 each to spend on anything they wanted, which equated to about $10,000. Once he came home, he said he bought a completely new streaming setup, which he showed off in a video on his YouTube channel. Overall, it came out to around $21,000 spent right off the bat. Elevate, on the other hand, didn’t have much to say about his spending, but he did have some potential dating tips to give, such as why you have to notice if a girl changes her profile picture. “If she changes her profile picture, if you don’t notice the change in the profile picture, that is bad,” he explained around the 3:40 mark. “That means you’re not looking at her profile page. You’re looking at other girls’ profile pages.” With Ceice’s spending of $21,000 out of his $900,000 in earnings, provided they split the winnings equally, he still has a lot more to fall back on. The two players still compete together in tournaments so those winnings won’t be drying up any time soon as long as Fortnite keeps holding events. It’s not all good news for the 100 Thieves Fortnite scene, however, as on September 4, the team cut loose three of their players. Kenith, SirDimetrious, and Blind all waved goodbye to the team as they search for another landing spot.

Hilarious Fortnite Season 3 glitch ‘adds’ flying cars into the game – Dexerto
Hilarious Fortnite Season 3 glitch ‘adds’ flying cars into the game YouTube: OrangeGuy / Epic GamesEpic have seemingly added flying cars into Fortnite on Patch v13.40. You could be mistaken for thinking that’s an official statement, given how a hilarious new glitch has gone viral with people taking the land vehicles to air. Cars have finally been added into Fortnite. After seemingly months of waiting, the land vehicles were added in v13.40 as part of the Joyride update. However, players have broken them instantly. A host of hilarious car-related glitches have popped up on the new patch, but none more so than the flying glitch. That’s right, Fortnite cars can now defy the laws of gravity and fly. It’s pretty simple for cars to take to the air, contesting helicopters as the ultimate transport. Serial glitch finder ‘OrangeGuy’ has shown players exactly how to do it, and it’s almost too easy to replicate. How to make cars fly in Fortnite Season 3 All you have to do is go to the bridge between Lazy Lake and Retail Row, then find the truck. Place a gas can on the back of the truck, in between the cabin and the tail, and shuffle backwards and forwards until you take to the skies. We’ve compiled a step-by-step guide below. Go to the bridge between Lazy Lake and Retail Row (grid G6). – Start the truck and destroy the load of logs. – Jump up on the tray and place a gas can between the tray and the cabin. – Hop back in and drive the truck backwards and forwards. – You’ll eventually take to the skies after a short while. – The glitch can seemingly be replicated across all of the cars, although it’s slightly different for each one. This one is by far the easiest though. Obviously, such an exploit would be pretty funny to see in game — just a random truck floating in mid air. You’ll also get practically infinite fuel for doing the trick. However, if you don’t, there’s another glitch you can do to get unlimited gas cans. Just swap between your axe and your canister, all while spamming the pickup button, to replicate them. Obviously Epic didn’t intend to release flying cars into Fortnite — at least with this update. Who knows what they have planned for the future. For now, this glitch will remain just that — a glitch. Epic will probably have to take cars out of the game to fix the problem properly, so expect them to be disabled in the coming days. Players will have to be mindful when trying to replicate it though. Epic are known to have thrown around the ban hammer when players use exploits to their own advantage. Be sure to keep this trick to yourself in custom lobbies rather than the full game.

Hilarious clip of Ninja and TimTheTatman perfectly sums up the latest update in Fortnite – Dexerto
Hilarious clip of Ninja and TimTheTatman perfectly sums up the latest update in Fortnite Nothing quite sums up the recent v6.30 update quite like today’s clip of popular streamers Ninja and TimTheTatman playing Fortnite. Getting in some squads matches, the Twitch superstars started one of the games by going to Tilted Towers and landing on top of the Clock Tower. What followed was absolute mayhem as they and an enemy player that also landed there began hacking each other with their pickaxes, which, following the update, now do 20 melee damage instead of 10. While Tim ended up being saved by Ninja, the chaos did not end there. After the pickaxe warfare ended, the team immediately found themselves in the midst of further pandemonium, this time involving one of the brand new Mounted Turrets that were added to the game as part of the update. In a hilarious sequence of events, Tim found himself in the seat of the Turret and began destroying the walls of the Clock Tower. He ended up breaking one too many walls as behind the last one was an enemy player on yet another Turret, which eliminated their whole squad. Pretty much sums up this weeks #Fortnite update Credit @timthetatman pic.twitter.com/MOjlvUqcCv — FortniteINTEL • Fortnite News (@FortniteINTEL) November 17, 2018 If this hilarious bedlam does not perfectly represent the effect that this latest update has had in Fortnite, then it’ll be hard to find one that does. Heavy pickaxe damage followed by Turrets facing each other, the only thing missing from this was someone dying to fall damage because they no longer had Glider Re-Deploy available. It is scenarios like the one shown in the clip that has a lot of players displeased with the v6.30 patch, with some even calling it one of the worst in recent months. A major reason for that is the addition of Mounted Turrets, which have received two major nerfs in as many days since being added to the game. The full highlight video from which the clip above was taken from can be viewed below (video starts where the clip starts):

Hilarious Fortnite “pay-to-win” strategy allows you to blend in at the Mandalorian POI – Dexerto
Hilarious Fortnite “pay-to-win” strategy allows you to blend in at the Mandalorian POI Epic GamesA strategy involving the relatively new Mandalorian POI in Fortnite that some are calling pay-to-win has been making the rounds lately, even garnering attention from YouTuber and content creator SypherPK. Here’s how you can do it for yourself. With the release of update v15.30, Fortnite got a brand new POI near the center of the map called Kit’s Cantina, clearly inspired by one of the areas seen in The Mandalorian show, alongside a mode LTM where all players are tasked with going after specific people in the match. Now, a new strategy involving the POI just might show an easy way to take care of everyone dropping there. The strategy is so good that some, like SypherPK, are calling it “pay-to-win” and it’s easy to see why. The actual strategy, which was discovered by TikTok user korc1e, involves both the Breakpoint skin, as well as the Accolades emote. Players have noticed that the aforementioned skin looks a good bit like the hologram seen in Kit’s Cantina, while the emote is identical to the motions that the hologram is performing. All players need to do is equip the emote and the skin, go up to the hologram in-game, time the emote with the hologram, and it almost seems to blend you in. While it might be easy to think that that won’t fool anyone, one of SypherPK’s latest videos proves otherwise, as he was able to go unnoticed for a while by utilizing the above strategy. The reason that some are calling this strategy pay-to-win is because both the skin and the emote have to bought on the Item Shop and can’t be earned through gameplay. What’s even worse is that both of these items currently aren’t available, meaning if you don’t have them already, you’re out of luck. It’s unclear if this strategy is so egregious that it requires Epic’s attention, however, given how effective it seems to be, players might want to double check the hologram every time they visit Kit’s Cantina from now on.

TSM HighDistortion gets into explicit row with serial stream sniper – Dexerto
TSM HighDistortion gets into explicit row with serial stream sniper L: HighDistortion. R:Epic GamesTeam SoloMid’s Jimmy ‘Fortnite Battle Royale stream sniper during a round of custom games. Twitch streamers who make Fortnite Battle Royale their primary game are not surprised when they run into stream snipers – even if they have prepared themselves for that inevitability with a stream delay and the in-game anonymous. However, some streamers can only take so much before they have to fire back and response to the annoyances as they look to drive away the negativity from their broadcast. What happened to HighDistortion? During his April 22 stream, HighDistortion jumped into one custom lobby with subscribers before coming to the realization that one of his most notorious stream snipers had been placed on his team. The pair immediately started intensely jawing at each other in the pre-game lobby, with the sniper, going by the name 1800ClapMyCheeks, throwing out some passionate trash talk before diving into a number of homophobic slurs. “You fucking suck at this game,” screamed HighDistortion after the stream sniper tried to gloat about killing him. “Man, shut the fuck up. You wouldn’t say shit to me in person you little bitch. You wouldn’t say shit to me you piece of shit.” After being labeled as ‘cringy’, the Fortnite Battle Royale pro thunderously fired back with a barrage of his own trash talk. “You fucking can’t take it, you fucking pussy, you can’t fucking take it,” roared HighDistortion. While he didn’t have a camera on his face, his anger was clear to viewers as his screen began to severely wobble. HighDistortion calms down Following the exchange, 1800ClapMyCheeks got in another couple of verbal jabs in before leaving the game as HighDistortion stayed quiet, seemingly calming himself down, following the deafening and intense exchange. Another player chimed in to tell the TSM player that he “cried a lot on stream” before leaving himself. After recovering from the exchange, HighDistortion ultimately carried on with his stream and playing with his fans for a couple more hours.

High Profile Players Give Feedback After Disappointing Fortnite Summer Skirmish Week 1 – NickEh30, Daequan and More – Dexerto
High Profile Players Give Feedback After Disappointing Fortnite Summer Skirmish Week 1 – NickEh30, Daequan and More After an anti-climactic start to the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ series, a number of high profile participants have taken to social media to advise how it can be improved in future iterations. The first week, which boasted a massive $250,000 in prize money with another $7,750,000 still to be handed out over eight weeks, was plagued by lag, as well as a difficult to spectate format. With fifty duo teams to keep an eye on, the observers were constantly swapping through points of view, and coupled with the lag which players experienced, there was little redeeming about the tournament. It did attract hundreds of thousands of viewers across the official streams and participants own channels. So, Epic Games will be keen to get it right in future weeks to avoid Fortnite esports getting off to any worse of a start, especially with so many eyes on it. One of the main complaints which has arisen is that there is too much emphasis on winning games rather than racking up eliminations, meaning players will be tactically more patient rather than aggressive. Top YouTube streamer ‘NickEh30’ went into great detail to explain how the tournament setting and structure could be improved. Less engagements = less chances of dying. And playing against pros, anything can happen—why risk it taking a battle you don’t need to. But I feel like it could’ve been a lot more entertaining for viewers. I know it sounds crazy, but I think kills should be prioritized over wins. — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) July 15, 2018 Or maybe something like… 1 Elimination = 1 point 1 Victory Royale = 3 pointsRankings would be determined by teams who have the most amount of points at the end of a set number of games. — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) July 15, 2018 TSM Player Daequan also agreed that more emphasis needs to be placed on elimination rather than simply victory royale’s. He suggests a point system, somewhat similar to the point system used in other competitive Battle Royale events, but angled to encourage eliminations. Fortnite Competitive Thoughts: If Kills don’t weigh heavily in terms of placements for tourneys and prize money, then nobody will go for them. Solution: A Point System. 150 Points for 1st Place, 135 for 2nd Place, down to 15 for 10th. 20 Or 25 Points a kill… Something like that — Daequan (@TSM_Daequan) July 15, 2018 In terms of lag, this will be something Epic should be on top of themselves as they work out the kinks with their custom server technology. But 100 Thieves player Parallax was disappointed to see of ‘disrespect’ levelled at both Epic and the participants. I’m seeing how disrespectful people are towards players, employees, and Epic as a whole. I’m unsure what people are to expect. Take 50v50 servers for example. There’s some stability and performance issues that come with such hectic gameplay. — Parallax (@100T_Parallax) July 15, 2018 Yet regardless people find a rhyme and reason to bitch and point fingers. If Epic didn’t give a fuck (like most day) they’d just ignore us and use the current format. BUT THEY ARENT. They’re actively trying to improve and change things to find what’s best. — Parallax (@100T_Parallax) July 15, 2018 Daequan’s TSM teammate though, HighDistortion, had a rather more novel idea about how Epic could spice up the tournament next time around – using the new ATK vehicles. Next summer skirmish should have a big prize for winning a race at the race track. That will stop the campers Kappa — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) July 15, 2018

HighDistortion fires back at Twitch “hate” for not playing Fortnite – Dexerto
HighDistortion fires back at Twitch “hate” for not playing Fortnite HighDistortion / Epic GamesJimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno has revealed the amount of hate he has been receiving on his Twitch channel, with “trolls” criticising his decision to ditch Fortnite for other games. The former Team SoloMid star, who has over 1.6 million followers on his Twitch channel, had previously been streaming the battle royale title full-time, where he became the first player to reach 100,000 kills. However, he has has decided to try out another game in recent weeks – Overwatch. With that change has come a change in opinion from some members of his community, too, who have been urging the former Fortnite pro to return. It appears that the calls for a change in game have gone too far, though, as the 35-year old revealed that he now feels discouraged from streaming due to the reactions from some viewers. On January 28, he tweeted: “It’s honestly discouraging as f**k for me, for the amount of hate I get on Twitch for not playing Fortnite. “Didn’t expect so many to chime in,” he added in a follow-up, after a number of followers backed him on the platform. “Just had a plethora of trolls/hate last stream as if I hurt people for playing something else.” Didnt expect so many to chime in, just had a plethora of trolls/hate last stream as if I hurt people for playing something else. Thanks for the positivity people! Just gotta still recognize I get to play games for a career. — HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) January 29, 2020 While HighDistortion has made it very clear in the past that he would like to explore different games, as seen with his previous stint on Apex Legends, the amount of criticism he’s facing for branching out has certainly had a negative impact on him. That much is clear. A number of other streamers have turned away from Fortnite of late, although regular Twitch viewers and members of the gaming community know the likelihood of their returns will always increase when new updates are released. Whether or not Moreno will start streaming Epic Games’ popular battle royale game in the near future remains to be seen. We’ll have to wait and see what he makes of the 11.50 update on February 20, when Season 2 kicks off.

Hidden underground passages discovered at new Fortnite location – Dexerto
Hidden underground passages discovered at new Fortnite location When Epic Games replaced Risky Runways on The Block, little did we know that there would a whole new underground passage system added to the game. The location’s structure was changed again on December 30, with the addition of Mysterious Markets and some Fortnite players have found a very interesting pathway underneath it. A video, which was posted to Reddit by user MiloIsDog, shows the simple steps you have to take in order to find this hidden route – which could be very good for hiding, healing and perhaps even close-quarters combat. The view is slightly restricted under there, as the video below shows, but this could be an ideal way of travelling around the new Fortnite location without being spotted by enemy players. However, it seems that some players have been wanting to keep its existence under wraps. “Please delete this so I can have my spot kept a secret”, GalaxyGamerYT posted. While, Pterox511 said: “Shit no! Now it’s been exposed”. The new structure on The Block in Fortnite Battle Royale clearly takes some inspiration from Tilted Towers, which was added to the game with Patch 2.0 and has since become one of the most popular destinations on the map. A new fan-made map confirmed that Tilted Towers is also still home to potentially the best loot in Fortnite, as it revealed the locations of every chest in Season 7.

Hidden Fortnite texture sparks speculation about Family Guy crossover – Dexerto
Hidden Fortnite texture sparks speculation about Family Guy crossover Epic Games / FoxFortnite dataminer GMatrixGames discovered an odd texture hidden within the files, and it’s sparked rumors that a Fortnite x Family Guy crossover could be on the cards. [jwplayer Mx6o4MA0] Fortnite crossover rumors keep popping up left, right, and center. We’ve heard everything from ones with Fall Guys, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and WandaVision to a confirmed one with Street Fighter. However, it seems like another exciting but unexpected crossover candidate could be on the cards. It’s still highly speculative at this point. But if the rumors are true, Fortnite might cross paths with the fictional city Quahog and its finest resident, Peter Griffin from Family Guy. The speculation started after a dataminer named GMatrixGames discovered an odd-looking texture hidden deep within Fortnite’s files. It appears to be a back bling texture linked to the codename ‘FrenchFry.’ Traditionally, the first letter in every codename matches the first name of a character (or crossover) the skin is based on. But more importantly, it featured an entire reel of clips from the show, including shots of Peter Griffin holding his knee, dancing, fighting Ernie the Giant Chicken, and more. Here’s some proof if you’d like pic.twitter.com/o718nX9zx0 — GMatrixGames (@GMatrixGames) February 21, 2021 It’s an interesting prospect, and it would be massive if it ends up being true. However, there’s a chance it could be a placeholder or even bait. So, although some fans are getting excited, others remain sceptical. Read More: Fortnite player discovers hidden secret – Either way, the fact of the matter is that Fortnite has some Family Guy content hidden within its files. But until there’s more information, we’ll have to wait and see what it means, or if it means anything at all. Maybe Peter Griffin will have the ultimate showdown with Ernie the Giant Chicken on Fortnite’s island. Who knows?

Hidden Fortnite Season 2 clues hint at two new map locations – Dexerto
Hidden Fortnite Season 2 clues hint at two new map locations Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 teasers are coming thick and fast, but some investigative fans who have been scouring through the images released by Epic Games so far have discovered a special hidden clue than reveals a brand-new location is heading to the game on February 20. Chapter 2, Season 1 has been the longest in the game’s history, so it comes as no surprise that Fortnite fans are desperate for Season 2 to kick off and breathe new life into the battle royale game, with the next installment of the game set to launch with a major update on Thursday, February 20. As always, developers Epic Games have been releasing teasers to build hype about the coming update, and drop a few clues about what players can expect when they jump out of the Battle Bus and into Season 2. After some incredible sleuthing, some players have discovered an image of a brand-new location that will take over the middle island on the Fortnite map, also known as the “Eye-land.” Transmission Intercepted FN.CH02.S02 Origin == Au 022020 pic.twitter.com/qBrpm1s1A8— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) February 18, 2020 While each image appeared to have structures in the background, they were faint and hard to make out until the image showing a face with a skull mask placed on top to disguise the identity. When players took this image and raised the brightness up, they were shocked to see a brand-new building in the background, one we haven’t seen before in the popular battle royale title. The structure appears to be extremely large, with multiple floors and rooms, and spacious areas outside, complete with trees and shrubbery. Planted on top of one of the roofs is a flag, although it’s impossible to see the logo emblazoned on it, which could be a clue towards who owns it. The location even has a helipad, although whether Season 2 will have a vehicle that can make use of this addition remains unknown. Interestingly, this location will appear on the middle island on the Season 2 map, which is officially nameless. Dataminer HYPEX was able to reveal to match the trees and rivers in the background to this island, meaning it will likely be one spot on the map that receives a complete overhaul when the update drops on February 20. the middle island in the map will get upgraded next season! pic.twitter.com/wwQmSfjRi1 — HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks & News (@HYPEX) February 18, 2020 HYPEX also believes that an Oil Rig will appear on the map, taking part of the teaser and placing it beside Slurpy Swamp, with the outline of the map almost perfectly matching the bottom left corner of the map. The good news is that players don’t have long to wait, with the new season expected to release worldwide on Thursday, February 20.

Here’s why your Zoey skin in Fortnite has been disabled – Dexerto
Here’s why your Zoey skin in Fortnite has been disabled If you’re one of the players that have logged in to Fortnite Battle Royale today only to find out that your favorite ‘Zoey’ skin has been disabled, you might be surprised to find out that it was linked to a rather strange glitch. A number of players started to notice that opponents using the Zoey skin were harder to see at a certain distance, and it didn’t take long to confirm that they were actually becoming totally invisible to both friends and foes. Strangely, the pickaxes and weapons of the players were still visible but this definitely wasn’t an intended change for to turn Zoey into a ghost for the ongoing Fortnitemares Halloween event. A short video from Daniel Wills on YouTube highlighted the issue and proved that the distance needed for the glitch to kick in was not a massive one in the slightest: As is often the case with Epic Games, the issue was addressed as soon as it came to their attention. “Players have found an issue with the Zoey outfit and we have temporarily disabled it while we work on a fix,” the developers explained on Twitter. Players have found an issue with the Zoey outfit and we have temporarily disabled it while we work on a fix. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 29, 2018 It seems likely that Zoey will return to the game in virtually no time, and you might even see and increase of players using the outfit once they realize how much they miss it! The sheer number of skins, items and other cosmetics in Fortnite Battle Royale means that the odd bug is sure to rear its head from time to time, but the regular updates mean that they’re rarely in the game for long.

Hidden feature on Zeus’ Fortnite skin hints at special connection with Aphrodite – Dexerto
Hidden feature on Zeus’ Fortnite skin hints at special connection with Aphrodite Epic GamesFortnite went all-out on the details surrounding Greek mythology for Chapter 5 Season 2, even adding a hidden homage to Zeus’ connection with Aphrodite. The Myths and Mortals theme of Season 2 was perfectly portrayed through Greek-inspired POIs scattered across the map and a battle pass brimming with iconic figures from mythology. Two of the most popular figures from mythology, Aphrodite and Zeus, are both featured as skins in the latest season. However, Aphrodite’s skin has faced scrutiny from the community due to discrepancies between the official skin and what was revealed in pre-release surveys. Aphrodite’s appearance is still under review now that it has been revealed that Conqueror Zeus carries a heart-shaped locket with her picture inside. While the discovery was a hidden detail was appreciated by fans, her looks were still the main concern. A Reddit post by RS_Rav3n did a deep dive into the Conqueror Zeus skin that can be unlocked after hitting level 67. This skin features new armor for Zeus and gives him slicked-back hair. On his right hip, a golden locket can be seen. When looking inside it, fans can catch a glimpse of a photo of Aphrodite – but her appearance within the locket still does not match her in-game model. “And a different version than is in game. The costume layout looks like Immortal Aphrodite but with the normal colors and shorter hair with her jacket not covering her right shoulder,” pointed out one commenter. But Aphrodite’s appearance was not the only topic of discussion within the Reddit post. Some questioned why Zeus would be carrying a picture of Aphrodite, considering the age difference. “Depends on if you go with the Iliad’s description or Hesiod’s in Theogony,” explained one commenter. “The Iliad said that Aphrodite is the daughter of Zeus and Dione, but in Theogony it states that when Cronus castrated Uranus, his genitals got thrown into the sea, where they floated around for some time and became a white foam where Aphrodite appeared from. Not sure which Epic picked, but she could either be Zeus’s daughter or nobody’s?” It appears that Epic went with the Iliad’s description of the story between Zeus and Aphrodite, which would explain her picture in a heart locket on his skin, since she may be his daughter. However, there has been no other confirmed connection between the two within the Fortnite universe at the time of writing.

New bug has broken pickaxes in Fortnite Season 8 – Dexerto
New bug has broken pickaxes in Fortnite Season 8 Epic Games have released a hotfix for Fortnite Battle Royale on Friday, March 1, but it seems to have affected one of the game’s most important items – the harvesting tool. Fortnite’s Season 8 officially kicked off on Thursday, February 28, bringing a host of changes to the game including the new Pirate Cannon item and new locations on the Fortnite map. Following the V8.00 update, Epic Games dropped a patch on March 1 to try and fix some stability and auto-run issues that had been plaguing the game in the hours following the launch of the season. Unfortunately, it appears that while the hotfix may have helped solve some of the stability issues, it has also caused a pretty major problem among Fortnite fans. Since the release of the patch, some players have been complaining that their pickaxe is no longer dealing any damage to structures or items, meaning they are unable to use it to harvest materials or break down buildings that are in their way. Epic Games have quickly acknowledged the problem, and have stated that they are “investigating,” but there is currently no timeline for when this issue will be fixed. We are aware of an issue with the pickaxe doing inconsistent damage for some users. We are investigating. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) March 1, 2019 Players will be hopeful that Epic Games fix this issue as soon as possible, as it’s incredibly difficult to have a successful Fortnite match when you are unable to acquire materials to build. We’ll make sure to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Here’s why Post Malone should stage the next Fortnite concert – Dexerto
Here’s why Post Malone should stage the next Fortnite concert Epic Games / The Come Up ShowFortnite is facing some stiff competition from Apex Legends of late, but what’s made the game as successful as it is today is Epic Games’ ability to follow trends. After the success of Marshmello’s concert, here’s why Post Malone should be next. Whether you were a doubter or a believer in what they had planned with Marshmello on February 2, there’s no getting away from the fact that it was an enormous success for both the developer and the EDM DJ. Fortnite broke the record for concurrent players, with over 10 million people flocking to the in-game event, but they now have a chance to take that a step further. Epic Games has been innovating ever since they released their battle royale title in September 2017 – allowing players from PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile to play against each other for free – but their recent concert at Pleasant Park proves that they’re not planning on slowing down any time soon. Something like this had never been staged before and, considering the concurrent players and the buzz around the Marshmello cosmetics, there’s no doubt that this should not be a one-time thing. A recent post to the Fortnite BR subreddit showed a fan recreating Post Malone’s ‘Sunflower’ music video in the game. The creation of the video took over a month of work and has proved very popular with the online community. Much of the camera work was shot in Titled Towers – a potential future venue for a concert – and the response to the video showed that the community clearly has an interest in his work. “The whole video is absolutely amazing,” a Reddit user said. “That is so good! The song is amazing too,” another added, and that seemed to be the general consensus among the post’s comments. The possibility of Epic staging another one of these concerts any time soon might be unlikely, but there’s no doubt that it offers a chance for artists, DJs or other people involved in the music industry a platform to present their work in front of millions of people. Post Malone is a popular singer-songwriter already, but not everybody will have heard his work – particularly sections of the young audience that Fortnite has grasped. If they toned down the expletives in his music and stuck with his more mainstream tracks, he could be the perfect artist to headline a future in-game event.

Here’s why replay mode in Fortnite isn’t working [Updated] – Dexerto
Here’s why replay mode in Fortnite isn’t working [Updated] Update, 12:15 PM EST, January 31: Replay functionality has now been fully restored, as Epic Games have completed the necessary maintenance. Lights:light_bulb: Camera:movie_camera: Action:clapper:We’ve re-enabled the ability to watch replays. Load up your previous games and relive your best plays! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 31, 2019 If you’ve noticed some of your games not showing up in the replay catalogue in Fortnite Battle Royale, don’t panic, as Epic Games deliberately disabled the feature. The replay functionality was one of the most requested features when the battle royale mode first rose to popularity, but it can put serious strain on both your hardware and the Fortnite servers. As such, it requires constant maintenance, and Epic Games selected January 30 as the day to perform some of the necessary upkeep. Although they haven’t gone into specifics about the issue which was occurring, they explained that there was a problem with the feature which needed some attention. Some players noticed that Marshmello’s music – which will be played at the Festivus event on February 2 – was audible while in replay mode, so this could be why Epic are being secretive about the issue. While they investigated, the ability to view replays was been turned off – but it’s not all bad news. If you do manage to have a remarkable game you want to watch back later, Epic has confirmed that any matches played during the downtime will be saved and watchable now that everything is back up and running. We’ve disabled the ability to view replays while we investigate an issue. All replays will still be saved during this time and watchable once this feature has been re-enabled. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 30, 2019 Of course, you can also always use your devices’ own capturing equipment, if you are playing on PS4, Xbox One or PC, you will be able to record your gameplay with the inbuilt technology – although it’s not as powerful as the full functionality of replay mode of course.

Here’s why Fortnite’s turbo building feels broken Fortnite fans have been left scratching their heads as recent updates to the game seems to have broken the ‘turbo building’ mechanic, but a Reddit user may have figured the whole thing out. Turbo building is a setting that allows players to quickly place structures like walls or ramps without being forced to build each piece individually, making themselves vulnerable to other players. Some players, like 100 Thieves professional player SirDimetrious, have key binds that allow them to utilise the turbo building and also defending themselves with a pump shotgun. In a recent YouTube video, SirDimetrious aired his grievances on the issue and stated that the turbo building hadn’t been working as intended for a number of seasons. In a Reddit post to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit, User Zarathustraa dove deep into previous patch notes to get to the bottom of the problem. The V4.3 patch notes state that a players first structure is built 0.15 seconds after holding the build button and that any additional structures built while Turbo Building are placed after 0.05 seconds. Zarathustraa suggests that the mechanic doesn’t work as intended when players swap from their initial building object – for example, a wall – to another object – a ramp – the time reverts back to the initial 0.15 seconds as another ‘new’ structure has been constructed. The post ends with Zarathustraa emphatically stating that the mechanic is ‘BROKEN AT A FUNDAMENTAL LEVEL’ and needs addressing sooner rather than later. With all the frustrations being voiced by players, both casual and professional, it seems like the community is rallying around the issue until it is rectified by EPIC Games.

Here’s why Fortnite’s Battle Bus needs to change in the future – Dexerto
Here’s why Fortnite’s Battle Bus needs to change in the future Epic GamesFortnite’s Battle Bus has been moving players near their favorite places to drop ever since the game was released, but could it be improved? The transport bus is attached to a huge balloon and moves across the entire map at the start of every game, allowing players to jump from it and start their hunt for a Victory Royale. However, some Fortnite players think that by making one simple change, Epic Games could make Battle Royale mode a whole lot better. In a post to the Fortnite BR subreddit, Issabot8 has proposed that the Battle Bus’ routes should take a different direction in order to allow players to easily reach places that they might not usually start at – because of their distance from the bus. “The Battle Bus should turn about a 40 degree angle each game. This change could spread players around the map” the Reddit user posted, along with the diagram which can be found below. “It could also make it easier to travel to farther locations from the Battle Bus, rather than arriving at a location with not much time to loot” they added. Apart from aesthetic tweaks, there hasn’t been many changes to the Fortnite Battle Bus since the game was first released in July of last year. Would this make life a bit easier for Fortnite players?

MonsterDFace Shows Why Fortnite’s Burst Assault Rifle is Now God Tier – Dexerto
MonsterDFace Shows Why Fortnite’s Burst Assault Rifle is Now God Tier It looks like one of Fortnite’s original weapons, the Burst Assault Rifle, is finally getting its time to shine. In a video posted on Friday, September 7, Fortnite Streamer MonsterDFace gave a great example of why the trusty Burst Rifle is now a must-grab weapon in-game. In fact, he went so far as to say “hearing the burst now is actually kind of scary” before he even engaged in any kind of combat! Playing in the new Getaway LTM, the YouTuber goes in on multiple teams and racks up over 10 eliminations with the new and improved Burst Assault Rifle. The fight itself showed why the new Burst is a force to be reckoned with. In less than a minute, MonsterD takes out multiple squads, mostly from range, all vying for the same loot-drop in a low-gravity area. But the entertainer wasn’t about to take all of the credit for himself, pointing out that the weapon was making the destruction even easier! “Bro, this gun is insane,” he said. In Fortnite’s most recent patch, the Burst Rifle’s bloom (or how far shots spread when firing) was reduced. This means long range kills are easier to nab. You can almost hear the cries of frustration from the victims of MonsterDFace’s rampage. The range at which he’s able to drop players with the Burst, from on top of a tree no less, is impressive. MonsterD also said Fortnite’s newest “Getaway” mode was like “the ultimate solo vs. squad dream” and we can’t really argue with his results!

Here’s Why Everyone Thinks Dusty Divot is Changing Yet Again in Fortnite’s V5.40 Patch – Dexerto
Here’s Why Everyone Thinks Dusty Divot is Changing Yet Again in Fortnite’s V5.40 Patch It looks like Fortnite Battle Royale’s map will undergo more changes in the near future as Dusty Divot could be changing yet again in the V5.40 update. The leak comes from Epic Games themselves, as their reveal of the Getaway LTM and all-new Grappler item during the PAX West Summer Skirmish event seemed to show a number of changes to the location. One screen capture from the reveal that has been making the rounds online appears to show a modernized street/parking area amd a shop just to the outside of the factories: Elsewhere, a number of players started to produce side-by-side comparisons of Dust Divot’s current appearance on the game’s minimap and the version of it shown in the Getaway reveal. Read More: Unfortunately the scale and resolution of the new image makes it hard to distinguish a great deal, but the area certainly seems to be growing, with more outbuildings, a larger concrete area outside and a more industrialized look overall: Dusty Divot has been one of the most regularly changed areas of the map in recent months. Once called Dusty Depot, the location was nothing more than three warehouses in the middle of nowhere until a massive meteor hit it at the start of Season 4, creating a giant crater full of Hop Rocks and forcing a name change! Over time, the area has become more overgrown and is now covered in trees and greenery. However, if Epic’s trailer for the Getaway LTM is to be believed, all of that could be about to change yet again. With Fortnite’s V5.40 patch expected to be released this week, probably on Tuesday, players could find out more about the future of Dusty in no time!

Here’s why Fortnite players in the Middle East are so angry [UPDATE] – Dexerto
Here’s why Fortnite players in the Middle East are so angry [UPDATE] Angry Fortnite players from across the Middle East have come together in large numbers to complain about issues with playing the game in their region. Many have posted videos and messages to Twitter about their alleged poor experiences, and #FortniteMiddleEastServers is currently the No.2 top trending subject on the social media platform. Their main concern is the lack of a solid server for people there to play on. One powerful message, which is being shared in the form of an image, has since gone viral and can be seen below. شدو يلا نبغا نسيطر على الترند الأول العالمي pic.twitter.com/eWdqDKicKy — Mohammed Aloufy (@AloufyMohammed) January 7, 2019 “We are players from the Middle East. We have been playing the game for a long time and we are big fans,” the message says. “However, we are facing a big struggle with PING, which leads to us have bad experiences when playing the game. We need a server in our region as soon as possible.” Another big issue, which has been highlighted by gamers based in the Middle East, is the strange Ping rate that they are given. For those who aren’t aware, Ping registers just how fast or slow input is sent to the Fortnite server and comes back to the screen as a response. #FortniteMiddleEastServers R.I.P fortnite Please need a good ping to play i think am going to play COD thanks epic & fortnite R.I.P :upset::upset: pic.twitter.com/YygKSPKUdO— MW_cFc (@mw_cfc) January 7, 2019 #FortniteMiddleEastServers This is my ping in Saudi Arabia why Epic games pic.twitter.com/1FeXnhHPr3 — حميد آل بشر :purple_heart::smiling_imp:، (@llz3eemll) January 7, 2019 As you can see from the clips shared on Twitter, it’s easy to see why a campaign for a server to be added for their region has begun. However, whether or not that will happen in the future remains to be seen. At the time of writing, there have been 2.3 million shares using the hashtag. Will Epic Games give in and announce a new server for the region? UPDATE The viral campaign seems to have done its job as Epic Games has now put out an official statement on the matter, though it’s not exactly great news for those looking for a quick fix. According to Epic Games, they are working on a solution but don’t expect to have one ready for a “few months.” We work with multiple cloud providers to supply the infrastructure for Fortnite servers globally. None of these providers yet have capacity available in the Middle East region, but we expect to have a solution in the next few months. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 7, 2019

Here’s why a future Fortnite season could be in space – Dexerto
Here’s why a future Fortnite season could be in space Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale could very well make the transition from the current map to playing in space in an upcoming season. The Fortnite map has expanded, hit by asteroids and been crashed into by a huge iceberg since the game was first released in July, 2017, as Epic Games continues to reinvent people’s experience on Battle Royale. Now, with everything in place for the developer to move our battles from the land to the air, it’s just down to whether or not they would like to pull the trigger. After all, many people would see this as a huge risk for the developer. Call of Duty moved away from their core gameplay a few years back with the introduction of exosuits and their titles have been rather polarizing since that time. Fortnite is a very different proposition, though. Its general audience – which obviously excludes those involved with competitive play – enjoy that the developer is always on the front foot and trying to surprise them. In fact, the introduction of Creative mode at the beginning of Season 7 encouraged people to push boundaries, take their combat to places it’s never been before and judging by the creation below, things could be very interesting if they took us off land. The creation, which was put together by DFault Skin and posted to their YouTube channel, has already grabbed the attention of several Epic Games employees who were left stunned by its innovative design. “The area is 50 x 50 blocks big and I think I worked a whole day to only complete the black canvas,” its creator revealed, after being congratulated by Epic artist Riot001 on the Fortnite Creative subreddit. It only took DFault skin a week to produce something like this on their own. The ‘INT. SNIPESTATION’ structure has since been shared by Epic Games’ Nick Chester on Twitter, where he said it’s like “nothing we have in the game whatsoever.” The things people are making in Fortnite Creative are out of control. This looks like nothing we have in the game whatsoever. I’ve blown away. https://t.co/wbiaqvRqAQ — Nick Chester (@nickchester) February 1, 2019 With the green light from many Epic employees already flashing loud and clear, the question is whether or not we could see something like this in a future season. Many members of the game’s online community have had their own concepts and ideas tweaked and added to the game in the past – perhaps not after the same level of adulation that this space station has received – but you never really know what’s around the corner in Fortnite. The tools to take Battle Royale into space are already in the game, that much is clear. All we need now is a rocket to bring the players into the server, a few unique locations and ding, ding, ding… We have a match.
