Here, we look through everything that’s changed in patch v14.40. The game is always in line for a wild update every Halloween and the same has happened this year. The dark forces of the battle royale world have come back from the shadows, all to celebrate the return of Midas – who disappeared earlier in the season. Now, with the huge update on October 21 comes a shakeup for the game’s ever-changing map. So, let’s run through everything you need to know for the next time you jump from the Battle Bus. Fortnite Halloween update map changes Witchshacks One of the first things players will notice is that a number of Witchshacks have been dotted around the island. These were found by leaker FortTory, soon after the patch rolled out. You have to feel, just because of the nature of them and the fact brooms can be found inside, that these will soon become hotspots for players dropping in. Midas return location This appears to be the place where Midas will rise once again, with candles lit in a circle and the throne sitting in the background. Soon enough, we’ll get to see what happens here, but an interesting addition nonetheless. The Ruins POI: Fortnitemares The game’s middle point of interest has been given a spooky makeover, called The Ruins. Surrounded by ghouls and who knows what, this could be one of the most dangerous places for members of the community moving forward. Halloween decorations Some players will have seen many of these prior to the update, but much of the settlements in Epic Games’ popular title are now filled with Halloween props on the inside and out. Here, we can see huge spiders placed on buildings and webs, so get used to seeing that. We’ll be updating this article with more map changes as we find them… Fortnitemares trailer Last, but not least, you can check out the official Fortnitemares trailer – showing off all of the new features. • Fortnite zip-line fall damage bug uncovered in Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Fortnite zip-line fall damage bug uncovered in Chapter 2 Fortnite fans have seemingly found more problems with the battle royale’s ziplines but they can’t be absolutely certain as to whether its a problem or not. Epic Game’s hugely popular battle royale title has blown away all of its rivals – including PUBG, Call of Duty: Blackout, and Apex Legends – as it attracts players with it free-to-play system and unique look. Since the launch of Chapter 2, Epic hasn’t quite tweaked the game as they did in the earlier seasons, however, they have addressed plenty of bugs in the few patches so far. Yet, Fortnite players believe they’ve stumbled – or rather, fallen – on to a new problem that the developers may need to fix sooner rather than later. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, one user showcased a video from one of their recent games where they had been using the game’s ziplines. The Redditor was traveling towards Steamy Stacks when about halfway through their journey, they jumped off the zipline after spotting a Loot Llama. However, instead of splashing down safely in the water, they were knocked down to the ground and required the help of a teammate to get them back in the game. Seeing as jumping off a zipline is supposed to cause fall damage, plenty of fans were left bemused by how the player had managed to need a pick-up – seemingly indicating that this was a bug. Others, however, pointed out that it may have been due to their landing in the water. “You hit the ground underneath the water because you landed near the shore. You need to land in deeper water,” added cjameke673, despite multiple reports of players suffering the same issue. Now, the Epic Games developers do regularly sweep the subreddit and respond to problems, but as of writing, they haven’t responded to this thread. It remains to be seen as to whether or not they are aware of the problem, and if they explain if it is bug or not. If it is a glitch, though, fans will be hoping to see a fix sooner rather than later.

  • Fortnite Zero Build’s “disappointing” loot drops need a buff – Dexerto

Fortnite Zero Build’s “disappointing” loot drops need a buff Epic GamesFortnite zero build gamers are urging Epic Games to improve loot from supply drops and llamas, as current drops are deemed “disappointing.” Fortnite has done its best to provide an equivalent experience between regular and zero build through ziplines and other movement items. But when it comes to loot drops players feel like a significant gap needs to be filled. Supply drops and loot llamas have been in Fortnite since its inception and offer the player an advantage through rare loot. However, since zero build doesn’t allow players to obtain materials, it significantly reduces the value of the loot. Players are proposing additional items for Fortnite to include in supply drops and loot llamas to enhance their value for those playing in zero build. Veteran players brought up the idea of adding in items such as the Chug Cannon or Chili Splashes for added meds and movement. Something that was brought up during Chapter 5 Season 1 with rare ammo boxes no longer dropping meds. “Ugh, I remember the good old days when finding a llama was like hitting the lottery. Now it’s just disappointing – like finding out there’s no chocolate chips in your cookie.” explained one user. The llamas were not the only things that disappointed players with Chapter 5 Season 2. With the return of supply drops the loot within them has been less than stellar according to players. “The supply drops could also use a bit of a buff. Feel like there’s barely anything in them. Mostly play duos and trios so when we go to collect the supply drop there’s only enough for a single player, think usually get an epic weapon and a healing item.” said another commenter. Fortnite has been upping the ante with loot drops for chests and ammo crates in Chapter 5, but llamas and supply drops haven’t seen any adjustments yet. But the community will continue to push for further updates, especially in zero build.

  • Fortnite leak reveals “Zero Gravity” POI coming in Season 7: everything we know – Dexerto

Fortnite leak reveals “Zero Gravity” POI coming in Season 7: everything we know Epic GamesA unique ‘Zero Gravity’ POI is reportedly on the way to Fortnite in Season 7 as leaked audio files have hinted at a mysterious new location on the map. While we’re just one week into the Season 7 era of Fortnite, players have already begun speculating on what’s next. With an Alien Invasion taking over the storyline, we’ve already seen a wide array of new content and it appears this theme is set to continue. Despite the new map changes already in place at the start of the season, another big area is rumored to be on the way. This unique zone could be bringing a rather unique feature to boot. Here’s everything we know about the new ‘Zero Gravity’ point of interest reportedly coming to Fortnite in Season 7. New ‘Zero Gravity’ POI in Fortnite Season 7 Following on from a leaked item that reportedly creates a “no gravity area,” prominent Fortnite data miner ‘HYPEX’ revealed a larger biome that may follow the same rules: at some stage throughout Season 7, “we might also get a No Gravity Biome,” they suggested. This new POI is likely to appear near the center of the Season 7 map, according to the leaker. Based on audio files pulled from the game’s code, this new area certainly seems to be more than just a rumor. Unique audio cues have been added specifically for this new POI. There are unique sounds for jumping around in the Zero-G environment, audio triggers for entering and exiting, along with a distinct background noise that plays when inside the biome. When will ‘Zero Gravity’ POI go live? For the time being, this leaked intel is all we have to go off. Epic Games is yet to confirm that another POI is on the way. Though with new updates flying out every week, it could just be a matter of time. Previous seasons have seen drastic map changes over the months and Season 7 is expected to be no different. We’ll keep you updated here as and when this new POI is on the horizon.

  • Confirmed: Fortnite Zapper trap coming soon – Dexerto

Confirmed: Fortnite Zapper trap coming soon Epic GamesThe Fortnite in-game news section has updated and it confirms the new Zapper trap item will be in an upcoming update. Another Fortnite update is nearly here and the in-game news page updated on September 2 to give us a good look at what to expect in the update. The Zapper Trap, which previously leaked on August 31, has now been confirmed by Epic Games with an official image and description. “DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE,” reads the in-game description. “Trap ’em and Zap ’em.” It’s anyone’s guess to how this trap will actually work but according to leaks by FortTory, it will be Epic rarity and can be placed on floors, walls, and roofs. On top of that, players will also be able to place it on their opponents’ builds too. Read More: Ninja makes loyal Fortnite fan’s week – We’ve had traps like this in the past, with the Ceiling Zapper in battle royale mode at launch, but this was eventually removed in favor of just having the spike trap. The same FortTory leak says players will be able to carry this trap in stacks of four, meaning you’ll be able to completely surround an opponent in a box – if that’s something you want to do of course. The first Ceiling Zapper was notorious for being too loud to be all that effective, so it’ll be interesting to see if the new Zapper Trap is quieter this time around so players won’t know it’s waiting around the corner for them. according to the current files The Zapper Trap will be Epic Rarity and can be placed on Floors, Walls and Roofs. Also it mentions that it can be placed on enemy buildings…. interesting but we cant be sure till the item actually has been released. The Max Stack size is 4 pic.twitter.com/oTKjdiKz5c — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 31, 2019 Usually when an item appears as “coming soon” it means it’ll be here with the next update, which will be the v10.20 content update. It sounds like this will be the major addition but we can probably expect a couple of other changes to arrive as well, such as some map changes. We don’t yet know exactly how the Zapper trap will work, but it won’t be much longer until we’re able to find out and shock our enemies.

  • Fortnite YouTuber Mrfreshasian signs with Luminosity Gaming – Dexerto

Fortnite YouTuber Mrfreshasian signs with Luminosity Gaming LG / via FandomLuminosity Gaming are adding another jewel to their star-studded Fortnite team by signing Harley ‘Mrfreshasian’ Campbell to the lineup. The 18-year-old Australian phenomenon has been making big waves throughout the Fortnite scene in both its competitive and content creation landscapes. Mrfreshasian has nearly two million followers on Twitch, about 1.4 million on Instagram, and a whopping 2.9 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. Though he’s sitting in a great spot now, it wasn’t always like that for the exciting young gun. In the announcement video, Mrfreshasian outlined the inspiring path he took before landing at LG. “Today is a very special day,” the new LG signee said. “It’s crazy to think that just under two years ago I was living in government housing, barely eating twice a day, and going to local LANs with a horrible laptop just to slowly win the gear I needed to play better.” Now, his single laptop has turned into a four-screen setup that is much better suited to keeping up with Mrfreshasian’s developing talents, as seen in LG’s spotlight. Mrfreshasian joins the rise of talented Australian personalities making their mark in both content creation and the wider esports industry. As a YouTuber and Twitch streamer, the player routinely hits seemingly impossible shots. At such a young age, Mrfreshasian already boasts a dense highlight reel. He’s managed to grow a community that knows him for his quirky antics, evidenced by his self-imposed “blue weapons only” challenge to commemorate his signing to LG. Competitively, Mrfreshasian has been on the rise, earning top honors in back-to-back Australian Ppen Pro-Ams and winning in 2020 alongside teammates ‘Lachlan’ Ross Power and ‘Enschway.’ Though he’ll look to make the most of his time in LG, this isn’t the first time that the young Fortnite star has been associated with a professional team. He previously represented the Renegades during his time at the inaugural Fortnite World Cup 2019 Oceanic Qualifiers, though he didn’t progress. Now, alongside LG, the sky’s the limit for Mrfreshasian’s potential as the youngster grows to become more prominent in the wider Fortnite scene.

  • Fortnite YouTuber Marksman Pulls Off Insane Grappler and Guided Missile Win – But His Opponent Wasn’t Impressed – Dexerto

Fortnite YouTuber Marksman Pulls Off Insane Grappler and Guided Missile Win – But His Opponent Wasn’t Impressed Popular YouTuber and streamer Marksman used the new grappler in combination with the guided missile to win a 1v1 on Fortnite and get the victory royale – but his opponent wasn’t impressed at all. Fortnite players can now channel their inner Spider-man with the new grappler gun, allowing you to latch on to surfaces and spring forwards. However, as Marksman demonstrates, it’s not just surfaces that the hook can latch onto, but also the guided missile. In an audacious move, Marksman, who was in a final 1v1 to win the match, fires his guided missile before managing to hook himself on – not once, but twice – with the grappler. He immediately drops down on his opponent and hits them hard with the double barrel shotgun, then almost messes it all up by switching weapons, but thankfully got the second shot off in time. However, his opponent, who was streaming too, ‘ItsAllHill’, was less than impressed, simply calling it “trash”. In fairness, it was difficult to see what Marksman had done from his perspective. The grappler has provided many great plays already, including this one from top Fortnite streamer Ninja, and oddly coincides with the release of Spider-Man on PS4. Using the grappler in combination with the guided missile is a new one though, and opens up lots more possibilities, beyond just walls and builds. But you have to be careful, because using the grappler doesn’t protect you from fall damage, so go to high and you’ll eliminate yourself upon landing.

  • Fortnite YouTube star Ceeday returns after two-year hiatus with one goal – Dexerto

Fortnite YouTube star Ceeday returns after two-year hiatus with one goal Epic Games / YouTube: CeedayHe was once one of Fortnite’s biggest names, but Ceeday disappeared without a trace in February 2020. However, nearly two years since his hiatus started, he has returned with one goal in mind: Get his YouTube diamond play button, no matter what it takes. Ceeday was one of the top Fortnite creators, basically from day 1. The American YouTuber went from a few thousand views on his Destiny 2 and Overwatch content to millions while playing the battle royale that took gaming by storm from 2017 to this day. However, as 2020 was called in, Ceeday’s feed slowed down to a crawl. By the time February came around, he had disappeared. His last upload, “Mythical Ceeday,” racked up 14 million views as fans held out hope for a return. Then, in a Christmas miracle on December 25, 2021, he finally broke his two-year hiatus. “It’s not easy to explain a nearly two-year absence — and let’s be real, those last two years were no normal two years. That was one long continuous ass-whooping the whole time,” Ceeday opened his 17-minute return with. “While the world is literally ending in front of us, the last thing on my mind is ‘when am I going to drop this new Fortnite video?’ “Don’t even get me started on Fortnite. Can we please, as a community, act like Chapter 2 didn’t happen? The state of the game, plus what was happening in the world at the time, it was the perfect sh*tstorm to keep me from coming back to YouTube.” The star admitted Fortnite’s decline in Chapter 2 wasn’t the only reason that kept him away from content creation though. The star was starting to fall out of love with the idea of YouTube as a whole, although he came to terms with it quite quickly. He never intended to come back either — despite fans getting excited over a teaser on Instagram in August 2020. “It was apparent that I was falling out of love with YouTube and making videos. The time between every upload got longer, and you know what? It’s normal. After doing literally the same thing for that long, it gets repetitive, and it loses that thing that made it fun in the beginning.” However, Ceeday believes this is his “last chance to be serious” and go for his one YouTube goal: Get a diamond play button. The star currently sits at 6.78 million subscribers — the same as he did when he left back in February (although he did lose 60,000 in the interim) — a smidge over 3 million away from that 10 million subscriber reward. If he can finally accomplish that achievement, he can feel proud of what he was able to accomplish over his five years on the platform. “I’ve never shown any of my YouTube plaques before, and that’s because I still haven’t claimed them. I say that to let you guys know that until I can hit 10 million and get the Diamond play button, I don’t feel I deserve the other two [100k and 1 million],” he admitted. “There might be rough patches where you won’t see me for a while, but until I can reach that goal of 10 million, there’s no way I’m going to quit forever.” Ceeday is willing to do anything it takes to get there too. While he made his stardom off the back of Fortnite, the YouTuber isn’t ruling out a change of pace — especially if Fortnite Chapter 3 ends up falling flat. “I will be back again, and again; maybe I’ll try something new, but YouTube will have to ban me to stop me from trying.”

  • Fortnite YouTuber Fe4rless finally returns with viral Chapter 2 video – Dexerto

Fortnite YouTuber Fe4rless finally returns with viral Chapter 2 video via Fe4RLess YouTubeYouTube star “Fe4RLess” made his Fortnite Chapter 2 debut with his first video in a long time, which sees him back to trolling teams and meeting excited fans in-game. With a massive following of over 6 million subscribers on YouTube, audiences were confused when the content creator went silent for months – even after the release for the game-changing Chapter 2 update. Even though his last video dates back to October 2019, Fe4RLess didn’t skip a beat with his anticipated return, which has already hit the #1 trending video on YouTube for Gaming, at the time of writing. Getting back into the groove of his regular upload schedule, Fe4RLess started his comeback video by debunking a strange rumor that he’d passed away at a hospital due to an infection. The video begins with a spotlight on a December 24 video speculating the details of his supposed “death.” Of course, this speculation wasn’t true, since Fe4RLess’s latest trip onto the Fortnite island had him cracking up at the hijinks he gets caught up with, all the while getting trolled by the fans he came across in game. But, as his viewers are well aware, the YouTuber can sometimes get caught up with the pranks he pulls on the members of his squad – something that he addressed in the video after accidentally killing his own teammate. Fe4RLess told his haters: “Calm down, d**n. Like for real. It’s a video game we’re playing. It’s not that not serious. Y’all got to calm down and relax.” In fact, he says he befriended the teammate he killed, gifted them a skin, and that they even became “homies.” Just goes to show that the YouTuber knows how to troll while giving back to his inadvertent victims. He even gave an impression of FaZe star Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson where he was smashing key inputs while yelling “lazard,” to the amusement of his team. His newest upload is already topping the charts, boasting over 2.5 million views and about 383,000 likes – so it seems like his fans were itching for a new video. Fe4RLess already has another hit to his collection of Fortnite videos, and given his habit of posting once every few weeks or more, it’ll have to hold over viewers until the next one.

  • Fortnite YouTuber recreates Star Wars’ iconic Millennium Falcon in Creative mode, including detailed interior – Dexerto

Fortnite YouTuber recreates Star Wars’ iconic Millennium Falcon in Creative mode, including detailed interior The Creative mode in Fortnite Battle Royale has produced numerous amazing creations, the latest one of which is the iconic Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars saga. The Millennium Falcon is undoubtedly the most famous spacecraft in the history of Star Wars, best known for its unique shape and crucially important role in the series’ storyline. Owned by smuggler Han Solo and his furry first mate Chewbacca, the Falcon is what the the main characters of the Star Wars sequels use to zip around the galaxy. Well aware of its iconic nature, YouTuber MakaMakes has recreated the Millennium Falcon using Fortnite’s Creative mode to spectacular effect. Read More: When does Fortnite’s v7.20 update go live and what’s expected to be in it? – Everything we know so far – A quick glance at the creation is all that every Star Wars fan needs to recognize the familiar sights of the Falcon, and it would be hard to imagine anyone doing a better job than this. Not only does the exterior of the ship closely resemble the distinctive features of the Falcon, MakaMakes did a wonderful job recreating the interior as well. A video that the YouTuber published to show of his creation includes a time-lapse of the ship being built, and there is no doubt that it was all the result of a lot of hard work, time, and dedication. The attention to detail is uncanny, as shown by the careful and correct placement of individual and specific items both in the interior and on the exterior. While the entire creation is amazing, perhaps the best part is the cockpit of the ship, which is where some of the most historic scenes and moments of the entire Star Wars series took place. The cockpit is recreated so expertly that any fan of the series would be hit with with a strong twinge of nostalgia when watching the video. Unfortunately, those who want to experience this Millennium Falcon for themselves cannot do so as of yet, as the YouTuber has not reached the requirements to be eligible to make his creation public via an access code.

Fortnite XP exploit lets you easily complete all challenges Epic Games[jwplayer BR6m7na1] A new Fortnite glitch is allowing players to earn an insane amount of XP by easily completing all the challenges in the game in Creative mode. Here’s everything you need to know about it. Bugs and glitches are nothing new for Fortnite. Every season there seems to be more and more exploits discovered, even as previous ones are patched out and fixed. While a lot of them don’t end up causing a lot of problems in-game, some can let players take advantage in ways previously unintended. Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 2 has already seen a some major bugs, with YouTuber Ali-A reporting on a glitch that allows fans to get out of the whole map and back up to the original Spawn Island. Now, a new exploit has been discovered and it’s giving players an easy way to level up. A video of the exploit, which was uploaded and shown off by YouTuber Glitch King, explains how to complete this complicated but rewarding bug. According to the original video, it requires two players, however, an update states that it actually is able to be completed with only one person. Instructions for this version are unknown. Essentially, players have to have load a Creative match, load up a glitched Tilted Taxis LTM match, and then from there, you’ll be able to complete challenges with no time limit or enemies to restrict you. All that being said, while this exploit will give you a ton of XP, you should be wary doing this. Epic, and most game developers for that matter, are known to crack down on players who take advantage of major, game-breaking bugs, so complete the glitch at your own risk. • Fortnite Yoda backbling disabled after whole squads impacted by crash bug – Dexerto

Fortnite Yoda backbling disabled after whole squads impacted by crash bug Epic Games/DisneyDue to a strange crashing issue, Fortnite developers have disabled the Yoda backbling added in the latest Star Wars update. New Star Wars content hit Fortnite on May 3, with one addition including the Item Shop’s Dagobah Luke Bundle. For 1,800 V-Bucks, the Luke Skywalker-centric bundle offers access to the Dagobah Luke outfit, its LEGO style, a Yoda backbling, and Yoda’s Cane as a pickaxe. Players who equipped the Yoda backbling started encountering game-breaking issues not long after the update’s launch, though. Fortnite content creator and leaker iFireMonkey recently shared footage of a glitch that occurred when users performed the Zoidberg Scuttle emote with Yoda’s backbling equipped. A graphical bug distorts Yoda’s face, and soon thereafter causes the player’s game to crash. On some occasions, the problem isn’t even exclusive to the person who purchased the backbling. Others in a Fortnite player’s squad may also experience a crash if their teammate encounters the error. As a result of this, Epic Games vaulted Fortnite’s Yoda backbling late on May 7, according to a follow-up post by iFireMonkey. How long the content will remain disabled is not yet known. It’s also not known how widespread the issue became before the development team took action. After all, it appears the glitch only affected those with access to both the Zoidberg Scuttle emote and Yoda. (The Zoidberg emote hit the Item Shop during July 2023’s Futurama event and cost 500 V-Bucks.) At the very least, the rest of Fortnite’s Star Wars content is still going strong. The update added Blasters and Chewbacca’s weapon to battle royale, for example, along with a Darth Vader boss that players can defeat to win his Lightsaber.

  • Fortnite x Super Mario crossover concept has players ready for Nintendo collaborations – Dexerto

Fortnite x Super Mario crossover concept has players ready for Nintendo collaborations Twitter/X: JriftJAFortnite and Nintendo collabs are nonexistent in-game, and this concept art for Super Mario has fans wanting Nintendo to change its mind. Since its release, Fortnite‘s in-game shop has been an absolute powerhouse for Epic Games, as numerous crossovers and collabs let players live out their wildest dreams. For example, Chapter 5 Season 1 introduced Peter Griffin and Ernie the Giant Chicken, rivals now turned party members, depending on what side of the lobby you’re on. Given the success of said crossovers, players have taken it upon themselves to create their own concepts, such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Despicable Me, and SpongeBob. In line with that sentiment, one player shared their concept for Super Mario, leaving Nintendo fans hoping the publisher will pull the plug. Fortnite player reveals Mario Bros concept To date, Nintendo’s been awfully absent from the Fortnite madness, while PlayStation and Xbox have brought over numerous characters to the game. That said, that hasn’t stopped players from coming up with Nintendo-inspired concepts, including Twitter/X user JriftJA’s Super Mario creation. JriftJA took quite a bit of time with their creation, featuring Mario, Luigi, and Princesses Peach and Daisy. The four characters boast their own Gliders and Backbling, each having well-thought-out descriptions and references to icons from the series, such as the F.L.U.D.D. from Super Mario Sunshine or Toad. 🧢[Skins]👑 — Jrift (@JriftJA) January 28, 2024 Mario: It’s-a me! Luigi: “Professional” ghost hunter Princess Peach: Who you callin’ a damsel in distress? Princess Daisy: The toughest princess there is!#Fortnite X #SuperMarioBros pic.twitter.com/NM7GsLgzHV Ernie the Giant Chicken’s inclusion in Fortnite has caused a bit of controversy due to the character’s model. Safe to say, there was a bit of criticism with the Super Mario concept, notably since the artist had to upscale each character to fit the bill. However, overall reception was positive with players sharing who they’d like to see, granted Nintendo changes its stance. “I pray for the day we get Samus or Link in-game, eventually Nintendo has to loosen up.. right,” one player said, while another hoped Wario would join, albeit with the Giant Chicken proportions.

The Force is strong with the second chapter of Fortnite. Thousands of fans flooded onto the map for the special Star Wars event, and a lot of crazy stuff went down. After log-in delays briefly pushed the event back to 2:10 pm EST, the event finally kicked off. Lightsabers have been added The iconic Star Wars weapon has made its expected but still highly anticipated debut. Lightsabers colored green, blue, red, and purple appeared suddenly in the hands of players, who wasted no time in slashing anything and anyone near them. https://twitter.com/dakotaz/status/1205933692771848192 Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber, Kylo Ren’s red crossguard lightsaber, Rey’s blue lightsaber, and Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber have all been added to the game. • Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean leak shows Flint Knock Pistol, Cannons & more – Dexerto

Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean leak shows Flint Knock Pistol, Cannons & more X/HYPEXA new Fortnite leak hinting at the Pirates of the Caribbean collab teases the return of Flint Knock Pistol, Cannons, and more items coming soon to Chapter 5 Season 3. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3’s first collaborative event with Metallica is coming to a close and Epic is already gearing up with another one with a famous Disney film franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. The collab was leaked by data miners such as HYPEX and ShiinaBR, with the 30.20 update files and is set to arrive on July 19, 2024. However, ahead of this event, Fortnite is dropping image teasers on their official X account, which is a map divided into four parts, and each one reveals an item arriving in the game. So far, Epic has teased the Flint Knock Pistol and Cannons to be added to the Season 3 loot pool. But as soon as the second teaser dropped, Fortnite’s Brazil account mistakenly uploaded and deleted the complete map teaser that shows all four tiles. Soon enough, leakers like ShiinaBR uploaded the same image, which shows the rest of the two items, which are the Ship in a Bottle mythic and the Treasure map item that are set to arrive with the collab. While the Flint Knock, Cannons, and Treasure maps are items from past Fortnite seasons, the Ship in a Bottle mythic item was leaked a while ago, as it summons a ship that deals damage to enemies and builds on the move. Fortnite players soon identified the teased items in the image and turned in their excitement for the collab inbound. One such player said, “Can’t wait to get all of the Pirates of the Caribbean skins.” Another chimed in, “Bringing back Chapter 1 Season 8 Vibes, I love it!” A third user questioned the individual who accidentally posted the complete teaser and said, “Welp, somebody is getting fired today.” With the 30.20 update, Fortnite players were also able to purchase the Jack Sparrow skin from the Item Shop for a brief while before Epic was quick to remove the listing. They later informed players that those who grabbed the skin will still have access to it when the full Pirates of the Caribbean collab hits the game on July 19th.

  • Fortnite x LEGO Ninjago: Battle Arena, skins, and more – Dexerto

Fortnite x LEGO Ninjago: Battle Arena, skins, and more FortniteNow that Fortnite has officially released a LEGO Ninjago themed creative island, it’s time to talk about what this could mean for an upcoming collab. During Epic’s UEFN event on March 20, Fortnite unveiled several exciting updates. Notably, the game will now support a first-person perspective, a new engine set for 2025, and a lot of LEGO content. This includes three new LEGO Islands, with one themed around LEGO Ninjago. Fortnite partnered with LEGO to broaden its appeal to a wider audience in late 2023. This collaboration introduced LEGO Fortnite, a survival-based game mode similar to Minecraft. Fortnite’s collaboration with LEGO seems to be expanding further, as one of LEGO’s beloved franchises, LEGO Ninjago, appears to be making its debut in the game. The newest addition is the LEGO Battle Arena which features Lloyd from LEGO Ninjago. The mode is similar to Fortnite’s Battle Royale game modem in which players will attempt to knock each other off using different abilities. The LEGO Battle Arena can have up to 6 people and can be either a private or a public lobby. To find the Battle Arena Island, players can go to the LEGO Fortnite portion of the lobby or search for it via the search bar. Fortnite recently made builds available for purchase via the shop as a start to the mode’s in-game-only content. This action was met with heavy criticism from the community who thought the prices were outrageous. However, now that LEGO Fortnite has specific purchases, there could be LEGO-specific skins in the future that do not cross over into other modes. Epic has not made any further announcements regarding the collaboration between LEGO Ninjago and Fortnite. Although some leakers have suggested that a further collab will be coming in the future.

Fortnite x IT Chapter Two event: Everything you need to know Graphics: Epic Games, WB StudiosEpic Games looked to be on the brink of sparking the most unexpected crossover between Fortnite Battle Royale and upcoming thriller movie IT Chapter Two, but it appears that the bubble has burst for the potential event. While the idea of having scary movie features added to the free-to-play battle royale game might have raised a few eyebrows, considering how many children play Fortnite on a regular basis, there’s no denying that the clues appeared to be stacking up. The game’s developers have linked up with the makers of the John Wick franchise in the past for a crossover event, which is a rated R movie, so it wasn’t out of the realms of possibility that this was about to be triggered – especially after players made some interesting discoveries. Fortnite x IT Chapter Two leaks (Aug 28) Not everybody would have believed it at first, but back on August 28 a series of datamines from leakers FortTory and HYPEX uncovered potential crossover features in the game files. One included a balloon that looked very similar to that of Pennywise – the main clown villain from the movies – along with a series of audio clips which seemed to sound a lot like the character. Even then, though, there will have been some doubters. These “”illinois”” quest sound files were added this update.. Fortnite X IT Chapter 2 Collab with challenges ? pic.twitter.com/yV2hiEIwbX— HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks & News (@HYPEX) August 27, 2019 More info regarding a possible Fortnite X IT. A creepy Balloon got added into the files… pic.twitter.com/ADPQqzUcMm — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 27, 2019 Balloon discovered! (Sep 4) However, Fortnite players made what could turn out to be a huge discovery on September 4, after spotting what looked like Pennywise’s balloon at the Pleasant Park point of interest. Those who have been playing the game for a long time, however, will know that the map is constantly gaining new features, both big and small. Some fans were dubbing this as our first teaser for the new event, at least it seemed that way. Confirmation? (Sep 4) There’s been no official word from Epic Games as to whether or not this crossover is coming soon, but what we did have was an initial endorsement of the idea. On September 4, the day a balloon was found in-game, the official IT Chapter Two Twitter account retweeted a Fortnite Intel article linking the movie to Fortnite. 600There are numerous ways that this crossover could have been sparked in Season 10, with Rift Beacons being added to different areas on a regular basis and locations seemingly ever-changing. Should the event take place, there’s no doubt that we could see an IT-inspired zone added to the game, just like they did with Borderlands’ Pandora Rift Zone or having John Wick’s house feature. Balloon is gone! (Sep 9) While all of those ideas sound great and seemed fairly possible following the discovery of the balloon, those who wanted to see what may come from this event might have been dealt a major blow on September 9 as the balloon disappeared from Pleasant Park. The sidewalk, however, still looks the same way as it did when the balloon was there, with the house destroyed. IT Chapter Two released on September 6 and judging by other themed events we’ve seen in the past, we usually see these type of crossovers kick off before that time. Sadly, there’s now a chance that this might not turn out to be an event after all, but simply Epic adding a map feature as a nod to the movie franchise. Only time will tell. • Fortnite x Fall Guys delayed until Summer 2024 after roadmap reveal – Dexerto

Fortnite x Fall Guys delayed until Summer 2024 after roadmap reveal Fall GuysThe collaboration between Fortnite and Fall Guys for a new series of mini-games has been delayed until Summer 2024. Epic Games recently had their 2024 roadmap for Fortnite on leaked 4Chan, revealing all the collaborations coming for the rest of the year. The leaked roadmap included a collaboration with Fall Guys, confirmed by Fortnite to launch in May. Speculation arose about the leaked roadmap’s authenticity, but Billie Eilish’s confirmed Fortnite Festival debut lent it credibility. The Fortnite x Fall Guys collaboration initially had a release window between May and June according to the roadmap. “We’re working on getting the Fall Guys beans ready for their big UEFN debut, but they need a little more time to cook. The beans will fall in Summer 2024.” said the official Fortnite Creators account on Twitter/X. News of the delay was well-received by most of the community, who prioritized a bug-free and issue-free product launch. Buggy Fortnite updates have become more common, as explained by some. “Damn if something Fortnite-related is getting delayed I can’t even imagine how many bugs there were lmao. Unless we’re finally gonna stop getting buggy messy updates.” said one user on Twitter/X. Videos shared back in March by Fortnite revealed that the Fall Guys collaboration will focus on mini-games. The mini-games will be similar to what the original game already offers, but with some twists that make it original to Fortnite and its universe. When Fortnite reveals the release date for the Fall Guys collaboration, we will be sure to keep you updated.

  • Fortnite x Fallout crossover concept has fans demanding collab – Dexerto

Fortnite x Fallout crossover concept has fans demanding collab Fallout fans are demanding a Fortnite collaboration after a fan-made skin blew them away harder than an atom bomb. While the Fallout TV series hits the world by storm, the gang from Avatar: The Last Airbender is avoiding the storm in Fortnite, though Fallout fans may want to pass on bending the elements in favor of dodging Mini-Nukes after a fan-made skin brings ideas of a Fallout X Fortnite collaboration to the surface. On the Fortnite subreddit, u/DudeWheresMyWizard shared their design for a Fortnite X Fallout crossover with Jones in Vault-Tec gear and a Mister Handy by his side. Fallout fans in the comments are very much on board for a crossover with Fortnite, expanding on the idea of a potential crossover. One user replied with their own ideas for what should be involved in a Fallout X Fortnite event: “I can see a supersledge as the axe and a vertibird as the glider. Maybe the skin also has a togglable option where it makes the V.A.T.S. sound when looking down sights.” “It would also be cool to get a Power Armor Skin. It wouldn’t even be that unrealistic considering the Family Guy chicken skin and the complete disregard regarding its size,” another wrote. While an official crossover has yet to be announced, we can surely speculate what could come in a Fortnite X Fallout event. It could use the settlement mechanics from Fallout 4 and the building from Fortnite to create a mass-building event. Instead of the storm, it’s the Radiation from the world closing in. Armor sets from the Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave with extremely powerful weapons appearing as Mythics. We can’t forget possibly including skins of the Fallout TV series characters. If a collaboration between Fallout and Fortnite is in the works, we’ll have to wait and see what Bethesda and Epic Games come up with. It certainly would be the bomb.

  • Fortnite x Fall Guys crossover leaked with new skins coming soon – Dexerto

Fortnite x Fall Guys crossover leaked with new skins coming soon Epic Games/MediatonicAccording to a new leak, Fortnite and Fall Guys will be getting some sort of crossover in the near future, with new skins apparently in the works for a number of characters. While Fortnite is still on top of the world when it comes to notoriety, it’s safe to say at this point that the same cannot be said about Fall Guys. That said, at one point, it was talk of the town, with a number of properties and even game studios wanted to crossover with the title. Now, it seems like Fall Guys has another few tricks up its sleeve when it comes to crossovers. According to a brand new leak from the Twitter account FNLeaksandInfo, Fall Guys will be getting Fortnite skins in the near future, presumably as some sort of crossover event, if some new code added to the game is to be believed. Fortnite X Fall Guys will be coming in the future! Some new strings were just added to the Fall Guys content system: fortnite_01 – Llama fortnite_02 – Cuddle Team Leader fortnite_03 – Peely fortnite_04 – Bunny Brawler fortnite_05 – Ripley#Fortnite— Max – Fortnite Leaks & Info (@FNLeaksAndInfo) February 5, 2021 The leak specifically mentions skins for “Llama, Cuddle Team Leader, Peely, Bunny Brawler, and Ripley.” As one can tell, those are some of the most iconic Fortnite skins, so their inclusion in Fall Guys makes sense a crossover is indeed coming. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the crossover right now. It’s unknown whether or not more skins are coming to the game, as well as whether or not we’ll be seeing Fall Guys skins or items come to Fortnite in some way, shape, or form. Skins don’t seem likely unless they were to change the proportions of the beans but it’s not impossible. Fall Guys will collab with Fortnite to make some skins in their game, the skins are: Llama, Cuddle Team Leader, Peely, Bunny Brawler & Ripley.. via: @FNLeaksAndInfo, Do y’all think we will get their cosmetics in Fortnite too? — HYPEX (@HYPEX) February 5, 2021 Perhaps we are on the precipice of a larger crossover, similar to the one Rocket League got a few months back. At this point, it’s way too early to tell. This collaboration will be a limited-time addition to the battle royale game mode and is set to end on September 10, bringing some new features in the meantime. A fresh Pandora Rift Zone location has popped up in the spot where players spotted a Rift Beacon, replacing the Truck ‘n’ Oasis Truck Stop. Fortnite x Evil Dead crossover: Start date, skins & everything we know so far Epic GamesFortnite is bringing Ash Williams and the Necromonicon to the island, as the Fortnitemares event draws closer. Here’s everything we know about the Evil Dead x Fortnite crossover so far. Fortnite has undoubtedly become the go-to game for outlandish crossovers. The Evil Dead franchise is finally crossing over into Fortnite, as Ash Williams becomes the latest character to join Fortnite’s impressive roster. This isn’t just any ordinary crossover, though. Every year brings terrifying thrills to Fortnite and Epic Games have officially announced their upcoming Fortnitemares event. What horrors will Ash Williams face? This is all you need to know about the Evil Dead x Fortnite crossover. When will the Evil Dead come to Fortnite? Players that are eager to play as Ash Williams shouldn’t have to wait much longer. The Evil Dead’s arrival is part of the Fortnitemares 2022 event, which begins on October 18, 2022. Ash Williams can be spotted in the event’s latest trailer, fighting demonic creatures and of course, wielding his chainsaw. This may be an indication of an Evil Dead-themed playlist too. We’ll just have to wait and see. Currently, there isn’t a definitive end date listed for the event. Last year’s Fortnitemares ran from October 5, 2021, until November 2, 2021. It’s possible that this year’s iteration could be far shorter, but at least that means we’ll be meeting Ash Williams faster. How to buy the Evil Dead skin bundle in Fortnite The Evil Dead (Ash Williams) skin pack will appear in the Fortnite store soon. While a specific date hasn’t been revealed, leakers such as @FBRFeed have already uncovered Ash’s skin bundle. We estimate that the bundle will cost around 1,800 V-Bucks, based on other high-profile crossovers. It appears Ash will be accompanied by the following accessories: Necronomicon back bling – Evil Dead-themed loading screen – Boomstick harvesting tool – We speculate that the bundle will have two different variants for Ash, that toggle whether his chainsaw is equipped. However, this has yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, be sure to check out our other Fortnite guides as the island continues to evolve.

Reports of a brand-new Fortnite and WWE crossover have been kicking for the last few weeks. The WWE’s Instagram page added more fuel to the fire earlier this month, posting images of stars Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair posing with Fortnite items. The post in question was listed as an ad but still teased that the two wrestlers were “gearing up for something.” Based on the latest information about the rumored collaboration, that vague something is coming up fairly soon. Meanwhile, content creators will gain access to the skins a day early on Tuesday, August 15. For one, John Cena landed on Fortnite Island in 2022, bringing along a WWE Championship Title Back Bling. • WWE stars set to join Fortnite in upcoming collab – Dexerto

WWE stars set to join Fortnite in upcoming collab WWEA post from the WWE’s Instagram page seems to confirm Fortnite leaks suggesting that two stars will soon join the game for a collab. Fortnite has already experimented with bringing WWE superstars to the roster. John Cena hit Fortnite Island last summer, complete with a WWE Championship Title Back Bling. A skin modeled after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also enjoyed a bit of the Fortnite spotlight in early 2022. But instead of entering the fray as a former WWE superstar, The Rock’s likeness was used for a character known as The Foundation. The worlds of Fortnite and WWE aren’t done crossing paths, either. New social media posts from the latter indicate that yet another collaboration is on the horizon. Two WWE stars are en route for Fortnite in an upcoming collab Originally spotted by BarbieharpFN, the WWE’s official Instagram page posted photos of wrestlers Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair wielding Fortnite pickaxes. Each skin should come with its own back bling and pickaxe, alongside a victory emote wherein the player will raise a WWE belt. • Fortnite Worlds Collide challenges: All cube memorial locations – Dexerto

Fortnite Worlds Collide challenges: All cube memorial locations Epic GamesA brand new set of challenges have been added to Fortnite Battle Royale and in order to complete the Worlds Collide missions, you’re going to need to know where to find memorials to a cube. Epic Games made a number of changes to the Fortnite Season 10 map with patch v10.10, but the arrival of cube memorials might have seemed merely a nod towards previous seasons at first glance. However, you’re going to need to track at least one of them down if you want to complete this week’s set of challenges, and we’re going to make it a whole lot easier for you. Players will be tasked with finding just a single cube memorial on the map, one of which can be found near its former home – Loot Lake – and the other in the desert biome. While those are just rough descriptions of where to find them, and they can be pretty difficult to spot because they’re small in size, we have created a map that should make things a little easier for you. For those who haven’t already seen the full list of Fortnite World Collide challenges, they can be found below. In order to unlock the Prestige set of missions, you will have to complete the normal ones first. Fortnite Worlds Collide challenges Use a Rift – Visit a Rift Zone – Deal damage to opponents at a mountain top Viking Village or Loot Lake – Visit a memorial to a cube in the desert or by a lake – Eliminate opponents in the desert – Search chests at Loot Lake – Consume foraged mushrooms – Fortnite Worlds Collide Prestige challenges Use four Rifts – Search five chests in Rift Zones – Eliminate three opponents at a mountain top Viking Village or Loot Lake – Visit cube memorials in the desert and by a lake – Eliminate four opponents at Paradise Palms or Fatal Fields – Search seven chests at Loot Lake or Lucky Landing – Consume five foraged mushrooms in a single match – Aside from that, there’s also another treasure that can be found for Week 4 and if you would like to know where it is, check out our Fortnite Hidden Battle Star guide. • Fortnite players refuse to use “worst” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto

Fortnite players refuse to use “worst” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 5 Season 2’s have called out a shotgun that they believe is the “worst weapon” in the whole game. The Hammer Pump Shotgun counted among the most-hated weapons in the Chapter 5 Season 1 loot pool. Despite being an automatic, its slow fire rate made it quite weak in the grand scheme of things. As such, Fortnite players assumed Epic would vault the gun ahead of Season 2’s arrival. This particular short-range weapon remains in the loot pool, though, and users aren’t happy about it. It should come as no surprise, then, that the community has already selected the worst gun of the newest season. Fortnite players slam Chapter 5 Season 2’s “worst” weapon A meme that pokes fun at the Hammer Pump Shotgun is making the rounds in the Fortnite subreddit. Funnily enough, the meme argues that players won’t use the gun even if it’s the first one they find when landing. This line of thinking even applies to fully-modded, Legendary Hammer Pumps. With well over 1,000 upvotes, it seems the community agrees that this shotgun deserves the title of “worst weapon in the game.” Numerous Fortnite veterans chimed in with their thoughts on the much-disliked Season 2 weapon. One user didn’t hold back in their critique, writing, “Pump shotgun is literal dogsh**. As bad as that launcher from last season which no one used in endgame lol.” Someone else said they’d even accept a common Frenzy Auto Shotgun – another gun that much of the community can’t get behind. “I’d take a grey frenzy or the new one over that.” Another Redditor joined the chorus with, “The only way I’m picking that weapon up is if I go to a poi that I know will be filled other people.” Though people have been down on it for months, the Hammer Pump Shotgun does have its share of defenders. A few users in the thread said those who don’t like it have a “skill issue.” Others argued it’s a good weapon to have equipped in Build mode, even if only to “piece control your opponents.” It’ll be interesting to see if this particular Pump Shotgun returns once more with Chapter 5 Season 3.

  • Fortnite world record for eliminations in Solo vs Squads smashed by Ghost Gaming pro player – Dexerto

Fortnite world record for eliminations in Solo vs Squads smashed by Ghost Gaming pro player Ghost Gaming’s pro Fortnite Battle Royale team has found itself in the headlines once again as one of their players has managed to set a new world record. Liam ‘Kamo’ Fillery, one of several controller players on Ghost’s roster, has managed to get 46 eliminations, setting a new world record for a solo player in a Squads lobby. The previous record was held by Teeqzy, a pro player with Millenium Salty at the time, who had managed to get 43 eliminations way back in April of 2018. The German-born Kamo tweeted out his incredible feat on February 18, not even sure himself whether he’d set a world record or not: “46 kills, I think now I got the world record.” What adds the cherry on the top is that he managed to get the Victory Royale, which is not always the case when it comes to record-setting performances in Fortnite. 46 kills lol i think now i got the world record pic.twitter.com/jLKQ8n12WB — Ghost Kamo (@KamoLRF) February 19, 2019 It’s hard to point out what is the most remarkable thing about this new world record. The fact that he got 46 eliminations, a whopping three more than the previous record, is pretty impressive. Although he was using a controller, he was playing with it plugged into his PC, which debunks the argument that he may have been up against weaker opposition on console. What’s more is that he apparently did it in his first game on of the day, while not even using his own controller: “First game on by the way, with my brother’s controller because mine is broken.” The update is well known for adding the format used in Pop-Up Cups to the core default modes, which means players get +50 health or shield, as well as materials, after every elimination. Since the update, there are three long-standing Fortnite records that have been broken, including FaZe Clan’s Thiefs and his partner Webs setting the new Duos vs Squads elimination mark. Kamo setting a new record is the latest moment of prominence for Ghost Gaming, whose Fortnite team has been at its peak over the past week. During the two-day $500,000 Secret Skirmish competition held February 14-15, Ghost had a combined six players in the top ten of both the Solo and Duos tournaments, with Saf winning the Duos and Bizzle coming in first in the Solo. You can keep updated on all of the record, by visiting our Fortnite world records hub, which has been updated to reflect all of the current world records. Do you think the changes introduced in the v7.40 update is a major reason why so many records are being broken? Let us know your thoughts by tweeting us @Dexerto!

Full list of Fortnite Battle Royale world records – Updated September 28, 2019 We have compiled a list of some of the most notable Fortnite Battle Royale World Records from a collection of different players. However, although players may post pictures and videos of themselves breaking these World Records, there has been a lack of records being cataloged around the community where users and Fortnite players can view them all at once. Below, we have compiled a list of some of the most notable records which have been set in a game of Fortnite by a number of players on different platforms including PC, mobile and console. We will continue to update the list as records are broken, along with including a video of the event in order to validate its authenticity. If you come across a new World Record or believe one of the entries listed is outdated, send a message to @Dexerto on Twitter. Note: an Epic Games user by the name of Lodoiis contributed heavily in regards to the information listed. • Fortnite world record for eliminations in Duos vs Squads has been broken once again – Dexerto

Fortnite world record for eliminations in Duos vs Squads has been broken once again For the second time in the last week, the Fortnite world record for eliminations in Duos vs Squads has been broken, as a pair from Team Overtime surpassed the mark by a single kill. The previous record was set by FaZe Thiefs and ‘Webs’ after getting a combined 50 kills on February 16 against Squads, but their total was bested by one more elimination just a short time soon after. Team Overtime duo ‘Inspyre’ and ‘Thresh’ wiped out over half of the competition when they netted a combined 51 kills to take the top spot in the world for most eliminations. With such an incredible feat accomplished so shortly after the new record, Inspyre made sure to have the record-breaking match fully available to watch. The replay is jam packed with numerous firefights, crazy outbuilds and impressive player tracking as the duo hunted for as many unlucky players as they could. The duo used numerous Glider Redeploys and Launch Pads to make insane rotations from one point of interest to the next which made catching up to players look easy. Even after getting third-partied time after time, the duo masterfully split aggro and prioritize targets to thin out opponents and bag quick kills. At the end of the match Inspyre ended with 21 kills while Thresh added 30 more to their final tally. You can keep up-to-date with all of the current world records for PC, console and mobile by visiting our hub here. It seems as if Fortnite pros are getting increasingly competitive seeing as the last record stood for all of one day, so who knows how long this one will stand.

  • Fortnite world record broken for PC Squads kills – ft SpaceLyon, Replays, NickEh30, and TurkeyLips! – Dexerto

Fortnite world record broken for PC Squads kills – ft SpaceLyon, Replays, NickEh30, and TurkeyLips! UPDATE: Unbelievably, the new world record set by SapceLyon and company has already been bested by a team consisting of Tfue, Cloak, ZexRow and Kreo! Original article… The world record for Squads eliminations in a Fortnite match on PC has been broken, and it was done so during the Fall Skirmish competition series. A squad featuring FaZe Clan pro player SpaceLyon, FaZe Director Replays, popular YouTuber NickEh30, and free agent competitive player TurkeyLips managed to put together 56 eliminations, without team killing, to set the new world record. They beat the previous ‘no team kill’ PC world record of 54 eliminations, which was set by 100 Thieves’ pro Fortnite team earlier in September. According to the final scoreboard, the elimination breakdown went as follows: Replays (18), TurkeyLips (16), NickEh30 (13), and SpaceLyon (9). All four players tweeted excitedly about their amazing accomplishment, which was documented on both SpaceLyon’s and Replays’ streams. The 56 eliminations are sure to earn some serious points for the Lucky Llamas club, who currently sit in last place in the Club standings after week one, with just 275 points. While other teams have managed to get 56 kills in a single match before, no one had done it without team killing prior to now. Although friendly fire is disabled in Fortnite Battle Royale, teammates can still use the environment to eliminate each other and award themselves an extra kill. Nowadays, world record bids with no team killing are prioritized over ones that exploit that glitch, which is why this group’s effort is the new PC Squads kill record. • Fortnite World Record for Duo vs Squads beaten after only two days – Dexerto

Fortnite World Record for Duo vs Squads beaten after only two days On February 19, the PC world record for Duo vs Squads on Fortnite was set at 51, but only days later, it has already been beaten – by an Italian duo. FaZe Clan’s Thief and partner Webs previously held the record with a whopping 50 kills, but this was overtaken by ‘Inspyre’ and ‘Thresh’ on February 19, with a 51. Incredibly, the previous record of 48 had stood for almost an entire year – and it’s now been broken three times in only a matter of weeks, as Italian players Pityth and Kygozz have extended the record to 52. Perhaps it is something in the meta allowing these records to be beaten, or maybe an influx of new players who are easier to take out (Fortnite recently hit a record peak of 7.2 million concurrent players in February). Whatever is causing these records to be beaten consistently, almost on a weekly basis, it’s good to see that even after almost a year and a half since release, Fortnite Battle Royale players are still striving for new challenges. You can watch the incredible 52 kill duo vs squads game from Pityth and Kygozz below, as they take out over half of the lobby. As incredible as this gameplay is, there’s a good chance this record won’t stand for long, as more and more players are attempting to get their name on the list You can view the full list of updated world records in Fortnite Battle Royale here. • Fortnite World Cup winning duo announce shock split – Aqua explains why – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winning duo announce shock split – Aqua explains why ESPAT/Eric AnanmalayFortnite World Cup duo winners David ‘Aqua’ W and Emil ‘Nyhrox’ Bergquist Pedersen have surprisingly announced that they will be splitting up and seeking out new partners for future events. After months of anticipation, the Fortnite World Cup finally happened in New York on July 26-28. Over $30 million in prize money was given away across the Creative World Cup, Pro-Am, solos, and duos events. Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf was able to succeed without any help to scoop up the $3 million grand prize in solo play with his stunning skills, yet the duos competition was more tightly contested. While european partners Aqua and Nyhrox came out as the victors, their run at the top has already come to an end. In the early hours of Friday, August 2, Aqua tweeted out that he would be partnering with Klaus ‘stompy’ Konstanzer for the next duos tournament – whenever that may be. Read More: How to watch Ninja’s first Mixer stream – Unsurprisingly, fans were stunned and upset by the news, prompting the Austrian to post follow up tweets like “Statement?” and “Looking really bad me for me,” before dropping a TwitLonger about the switch. lil announcement me and @stompybtw gonna play the next duo tournaments :hatched_chick: — COOLER aqua (@aquaa) August 2, 2019 “I started this whole thing wrong and never meant to send hate to Nyhrox or anyone,” he stated. “Nyhrox and I have been playing for a long time and we won (the) World Cup, yes, but that doesn’t mean we are the best duo or I (couldn’t) improve more with someone else.” The young Fortnite star continued on, explaining how he’d been considering the move for some time. “I feel like stompy and I fit each other better and Nyhrox and I have been talking about this for longer as well,” he added. “Sorry for the ‘beef’ on Twitter, I never meant to hurt anyone. Nyhrox and I are friends and I wish him the best of luck in the future.” Nyhrox himself has not revealed who he will be partnering with moving forward, but he will no longer represent the COOLER team after becoming a free agent. It remains to be seen if the former partners made the right decision in going their separate ways, or if they should have waited to see if they could have expanded on their World Cup glory.

  • Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha’s social media presence explodes after victory – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha’s social media presence explodes after victory Epic Games16-year-old Fortnite phenom Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf shocked the world by dominating the World Cup Solos tournament and gained thousands of fans across social media shortly after the event. The Sentinels player came into the tournament at just around 30,000 Twitter followers but after a strong opening game where he came away with nine eliminations and the Victory Royale, he began to gain followers. However, it wasn’t until he came away with his convincing victory in the tournament that he really began raking in the followers across all of his social media platforms. His Twitter boomed all the way to over 200,000 followers after his victory and that number is still rising as more and more people learn about his play at the World Cup. However, that’s not even the platform that has seen the most growth as his Instagram account was able to grow much more exponentially. It’s worth mentioning that his Instagram was actually one of his only platforms that weren’t hacked following his victory at the World Cup. Both his Twitch and Twitter were hacked but Bugha was able to go onto Instagram to let people know it wasn’t him posting suspect tweets from his account. In the midst of this major growth, Bugha received the elusive verification check mark too. .@bugha’s added digital footprint less than 24 hours after winning the world cup Twitter: +165,084 Instagram: +235,000 Twitch: +63,556 YouTube: +161,291— Deathly – GFUEL (@DeathlyiAm) July 29, 2019 With all these numbers being so high, one has to wonder how many viewers he will bring in for his first Twitch stream since being named world champ. • Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha shows the desperate need for Arena matchmaking – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha shows the desperate need for Arena matchmaking Epic GamesFortnite World Cup winner Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf completely outclassed an opponent in the ranked Arena mode and showed exactly why there should be a matchmaking system. Bugha is considered by many to be the best Fortnite player in the world after his dominant showing at the World Cup, although his absolute domination over an opponent in Arena was just too much. When the competitive game mode first debuted you might remember waiting in long queues to get into a match but as time went on, those queues disappeared. Now, players are stuck in the same lobby as everyone else with no real barriers preventing the great players from stomping on the not-so-great ones. Bugha showed how this is a problem by pickaxing an opponent to death all while drinking a shield and taunting him. The player was never able to fight back as he made it look like it was this person’s first time playing Fortnite. The below clip was posted to Reddit by DazCP. Of course, players don’t like waiting in long queues but it’s also not an enjoyable experience for somebody who clearly doesn’t belong playing with high-level players getting matched up with them. If we had to guess, the player Bugha eliminated was sitting under 500 Hype as they looked like they had no idea what to do. There’s no easy fix to this as it’d probably mean a queue would have to be implemented again. However, there is more than likely support from players on both ends of the spectrum here. Just under a week into Season 10, it’s obvious the current system isn’t working as expected so something really needs to be done about it. The Fortnite World Cup champion definitely isn’t improving by playing in these lobbies as much as he would playing against players of a similar skill level. Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney regularly drops high-kill games in Arena but that wouldn’t be the case against better competition. There has to be a middle ground somewhere and Epic Games should work on finding it.

  • Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha sends message to Epic Games over BRUTE Mechs – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winner Bugha sends message to Epic Games over BRUTE Mechs Epic Gamesv10.0 update at the start of Season X, and immediately became an unpopular issue, with players complaining that they were far too powerful to be in the game. Streamers like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff have all voiced their frustrations with the monstrous machines, and now the 16-year-old who became headline news thanks to his solo win in New York City has weighed in, and asked Epic Games for their help. During his August 7 stream, Bugha was playing trios with Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller and FaZe Clan’s Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh when they came across an enemy in a BRUTE who immediately destroyed their builds. Despite his best efforts, the mech suit continued to rain down rockets on his head, eventually eliminating the Sentinels pro player from the game by stomping on him, causing Bugha to immediately exit the lobby in a fit of rage. “Oh my God!” roared the Fortnite pro player. “I’m never playing this game again. Epic Games, remove them now. I said, I know you guys are watching my stream. Remove them!” Despite his outburst, Bugha continued to play Fortnite, but it seems that the BRUTES are getting to him, even though he won $3 million playing the battle royale title back in July. Epic Games have stated that they are evaluating the BRUTE’s place in the current landscape of the game, so there is hope that the developers may nerf them or remove them entirely, although many were left frustrated when the v10.0 Content Update made no changes to the mechs. There’s no current timeline for any alterations to the BRUTES though, so Fortnite fans will seemingly have to put up with their overpowered antics for a little longer.

  • Fortnite World Cup winner Aqua banned from FNCS by Epic Games – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winner Aqua banned from FNCS by Epic Games Epic GamesFortnite World Cup champion David ‘aqua’ Wang has been banned by Epic Games, following controversy over alleged stream sniping against FNCS opponents. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Aqua’s trio (with Rezon and Noahreyli) have been participating in FNCS Europe and, following the Week 3 semis, were accused of stream-sniping another popular trio: Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish, Martin ‘MrSavage’ Andersen, and Kevin ‘LeTsHe’ Fedjuschkin. Although fans initially deemed aqua’s behavior suspicious, things quickly escalated. With Benjyfishy’s team unable to qualify for the Week 3 finals and the discovery that aqua was watching MrSavage’s stream during the competition, the controversy has spiraled. Aqua banned by Epic Games On October 25, aqua confirmed that his account had been banned from competitive, with Epic Games simply providing the reason as “other.” Following condemnations of the World Cup winner’s team, rumors began circulating that aqua, Rezon, and Noahreyli had been banned by participating past the first match of the Finals. It was never officially legitimized and has since been made even more unclear by responses from some of the involved parties. I find it hard to believe there is definitive proof of stream sniping so it is odd that Epic have acted so quickly considering a usual absence of any stream sniping repercussions. — Kristian – Fortnite esports (@FortniteBRLive) October 24, 2020 After the rumor mill buzzed with the reports that aqua’s team was banned from competing, he took to Twitter and gave a concise clarification denying those allegations: “We are not banned, we just don’t wanna play. It’s boring without early fighting Benjy.” Given the difficulty inherent to confirming someone was in fact stream-sniping and didn’t coincidentally run into a fellow streamer, many believe it is unlikely that the World Cup winner has actually been exiled from the competition. Additionally, some have noted that bans typically result in removal from the leaderboard, something that aqua’s team has not been hit with. Don’t think that is true tbh… Like every time players got the ingame ban they got removed from the leaderboard insta! Aqua and them are still on the leaderboard… My guess is that they got told not to play this finals by epic, so they still can play Heats pic.twitter.com/fCdX13OmGj — Zrool 尔 (@TheRealZrool) October 24, 2020 As for how the players are handling it, aqua and Benjyfishy simply joked about the incident. https://twitter.com/aquaa/status/1320073122192805888 At 17 years old, aqua represented his home country of Austria to the fullest by winning the 2019 Fortnite World Cup’s Duos event with Norway’s Emil ‘Nyhrox’ Bergquist. With a smooth $1.5 million earned from the World Cup, he’s since signed with Cooler Esport and continued to win competitions across Europe. We will continue to update this article with more details as they become available.

  • Fortnite World Cup winner Aqua reveals reason for FNCS ban – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup winner Aqua reveals reason for FNCS ban Epic GamesFortnite World Cup champion David ‘aqua’ Wang has apologized after being handed a ban from playing in the FNCS by Epic Games amid allegations of stream sniping. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Following the Fortnite Championship Series Week 3 trio semis, Aqua and his trio, Rezon and Noahreyli, were accused of stream sniping of other players. Aqua, who claimed glory at the Fortnite World Cup duos event back in July of 2019, was spotted by fans in MrSavage’s Twitch chat, which only added fuel to the fire when he was handed a two-week ban from FNCS action by Epic. Initially, the reason had been unknown as Epic didn’t give an explanation, leaving players questioning what had happened. However, Aqua has since apologized and revealed the reason behind his suspension. The Cooler esports pro lifted the lid on his ban on October 25, revealing that he wasn’t banned for stream sniping, but because of two tweets he’d made being in violation of Epic’s rules. “I am sorry that I acted against my own competitive principles by leaving the game before being eliminated, and I fully understand the warning Epic gave me during the Week 3 finals,” Aqua stated, noting that he was not aware of just how big a punishment the dev could issue for his jokes. “I accept the warning for leaving the game and also that my tweets were poorly timed and uncalled for,” Aqua continued, adding that he is “sad” to be missing out on competing with his teammates because of the ban, and that he promises to do better moving forward. The Cooler esports star isn’t out of action permanently, however, as he will be able to return in two weeks time once his suspension is up, but his teammates will need a replacement in the meantime. Given his apology, and promise to learn from what’s happened, it remains to be seen if Epic will enforce the ban for the full two weeks, or if he’s given some leeway so that he can return sooner.

  • Fortnite World Cup stream loses 100K viewers, expert explains why – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup stream loses 100K viewers, expert explains why Epic GamesThe start to the Fortnite World Cup festivities has left a lot to be desired for those watching on Twitch, and an expert thinks the reason comes down to a technical reason on Epic’s end. The Fortnite World Cup kicked off with its Creative World Cup and Celebrity Pro-Am on July 26 but the results were not what Epic Games were expected as it was met with a lot of technical issues. Many complaints centered around the laggy stream, which was far from what Epic were hoping for on the debut day of the World Cup. According to an expert, the issue lies in the technology that Epic are using for the event, which adds an extra load onto the broadcast that resulted in issues with the stream and caused it to drop 100,000 concurrent viewers. “[To do this right] you need to have the right technology, the right product, the right engineers and scientists to be able to build it and create it,” Jed Corenthal, Chief Marketing Officer of Phenix told Fortnite Intel. While he believes Epic Games tested all of this before the stream began, a lot of factors can come into play. “Epic has tested and problem solved and troubleshooted so they’re ready for whatever issues come up,” Corenthal said. “Problem is you just never really know what happens when you have real users and real load. It will be interesting to see how the technology they built reacts to it.” While the broadcast experienced some issues during the Creative World Cup, those looked to be cleared up for the most part so Epic will be hoping to keep the smoothness rolling. Friday is generally considered the warm-up day before the major events begin this Saturday and Sunday with Duos and Solos. Epic Games calls the Fortnite World Cup the “greatest tournament of all time” on their website so this start was a bumpy start but there’s still plenty of time to redeem themselves.

  • Fortnite World Cup champion Bugha to make appearance on The Tonight Show – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup champion Bugha to make appearance on The Tonight Show Epic Games / Jimmy Fallon – InstagramFresh off his Fortnite World Cup win Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf will be making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to talk about his victory. When athletes win major sporting events such as the NBA Finals or the Super Bowl, they tend to make appearances on late-night shows and that’s no different with Bugha. While the Fortnite World Cup isn’t your traditional sporting event, it featured 100 of the best Fortnite players from around the globe and featured a prize pool larger than many of the other tournaments this year. Bugha’s win has translated into mainstream fame and he will have a chance to talk about that with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon when he appears July 29 at 11:35 EST / 10:35 CST. Pretty much everyone knows about Fortnite in some way or another but now many more are wondering how a player was able to win so much money playing a video game. Hopefully, Bugha, who is 16 years old, is able to explain to a wider audience how Fortnite is able to open the door to many more opportunities like this. Famous Fortnite player Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins did an excellent job in bringing Fortnite and Twitch into the mainstream but it’s clear there’s still a lot of work left to be done. Fortnite and gaming aren’t going anywhere so it’ll be interesting to see if Bugha is able to win over some more fans with his appearance. No matter what happens, nobody will ever be able to take away his accomplishment at the World Cup and the fact that he’s now in the top 10 of highest-earning esports players after just one event. The Tonight Show airs every weeknight and features a different set of guests each day. Other guests for Bugha’s appearance include Rachel Brosnahan, Carla Gugino and musical guest Ty Dolla $ign.

  • Fortnite World Cup smashes esports viewership record on Twitch, beating CS:GO and LoL – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup smashes esports viewership record on Twitch, beating CS:GO and LoL Eric Ananmalay/ESPAT MediaThe viewing numbers are in for the Fortnite‘s popularity has been the focus of debate in 2019, as some see it slipping off the very high peak it set for itself throughout 2018, but the World Cup has proven there is still plenty of interest. Much of that will be thanks to the ridiculous prize pool, which currently holds the record for all esports events at $30 million, although DotA 2 will reclaim that crown at The International 2019 in August. Still, with first place in the solos event, Bugha, walking away with $3 million, Fortnite fans, and many casual viewers too, had to tune in to see it go down. Fortnite already held the overall Twitch viewership record from its Celebrity Pro-Am event at E3 2018, which attracted 1.5 million total, and although the World Cup didn’t quite surpass that, it sets a new record for esports specifically. A whopping 1.3 million concurrent viewers watched the solos, which featured stars like Bizzle and Tfue, but many of the competitors were lesser-known, proving it wasn’t all just about big names. The duos event peaked at 1 million concurrent viewers on Twitch, still an incredibly impressive figure, considering the likes of Bizzle and Tfue weren’t even competing in that event. Read More: CS:GO‘s ELEAGUE Boston Major (1.15 million) and League of Legends peak of 1.14 million. ELEAGUE still holds the record for an event broadcast on a single channel, while the Fortnite World Cup number accounts for all channels streaming the broadcast. Of course, Twitch was not the only platform for fans to watch the world cup, and many more watched on YouTube, Mixer, Twitter, and in-game on Fortnite too. Combining all platforms, the viewership hit over 2 million on both days, for the solos and duos events. Fortnite esports has now reached 2 million concurrent viewers and climbing for the World Cup solos finals across Twitch and YouTube alone, along with Facebook, Mixer, and Twitter#FortniteWorldCup pic.twitter.com/wCHdVjY0xZ — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) July 28, 2019 The numbers were no doubt helped thanks to many streamers ‘co-streaming’ the broadcast, meaning there were numerous channels broadcasting the action, not just the official Fortnite stream by Epic Games. Nonetheless, the impressive bodes well for Fortnite generally, and specifically its growing competitive community, who will now be hoping Epic can put more time, resources and care into promoting the esports side of their game. –

Fortnite World Cup runner-up Psalm reacts to losing half his money to tax Unsplash: Sam Trotman/CLG Psalm/Epic GamesAfter his second place finish in the Fortnite World Cup Solo tournament, Harrison ‘Psalm’ Chang, has experienced something of a whirlwind few weeks. However, he kept his true emotions close to his chest when discussing how much his prize money will be taxed. Psalm finished in second place in July’s Fortnite World Cup, coming in with a very respectable 33 points after six matches. While this was 26 points of shy of the tournament winner, Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf, it was enough to secure the 24-year-old $1.8million. During an appearance on Fox’s Business Network, Psalm was asked what he would do with his substantial earnings, before being comically reminded of how much he is to be taxed, having won in New York City; a city with some of the highest tax rates in the world. 600“I’ll probably buy some kind of house,” he started, after being asked what he is going to do with his winnings. “Some kind of house, hope it raises in value. I don’t know, I’m still figuring it out.” The hosts of Fox’s Business Network were very quick to remind Psalm of the insane tax obligations in New York, meaning he will lose at least half of his $1.8 million winnings – if not more. However, Psalm was tight-lipped in his response, stating that: “I love America. Erm, but sometimes it can be tough.” The restrained response received chuckles from the show’s hosts, as they clearly felt he was hiding some level of frustration with the taxation rates in New York. To lose nearly a million dollars to tax would be a frustration for anyone, but given the fact that he still gets roughly $900,000, and all from playing Fortnite, it’s fair to say we’re still pretty jealous of the American. Psalm is currently signed to Counter Logic Gaming, who are generally best known for their success in League of Legends. However, their reputation in Fortnite is impressive (and growing), mainly thanks to Psalm’s incredible finish at July’s World Cup.

  • Fortnite World Cup runner-up Psalm explains shock switch to Valorant – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup runner-up Psalm explains shock switch to Valorant Riot Games/Epic GamesThe runner-up in the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Solos tournament, Harrison ‘Psalm’ Chang, has explained his shock move away from Epic Games’ battle royale, as well as revealing that is headed to Valorant. Prior to the 2019 Fortnite World Cup, few people would have known the name Psalm. However, a second-place finish, behind only 16-year-old Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, saw Chang take home an incredible $1.8 million. Away from the incredible prize money, he has also cultivated a successful Twitch channel, primarily off the back of playing Fortnite. However, he announced on April 5 that he would be stepping away from the game that made him a millionaire and into new competitive territory. “My dream is to be the most decorated competitor in gaming history,” he said. “I have my eyes set on Valorant next.” What has shocked most people about Psalm’s decision is the move to Valorant, a game that has not yet become a staple esports title. In fact, at the time of Chang’s announcement, Valorant is still in its beta phase. While Fortnite grew to be immensely popular in its beta, it is up in the air whether Valorant will experience anywhere near the same level of success. “Thank you Fortnite for everything,” he finished. “I was given the chance to achieve what only few have had the pleasure of accomplishing.” My dream is to be the most decorated competitor in gaming history. I have my eyes set on @PlayValorant next. Thank you @FortniteGame for everything. I was given the chance to achieve what only few have had the pleasure of accomplishing. “Dedication sees dreams come true.” KB— psalm (@psalm) April 5, 2020 While the move certainly constitutes something of a gamble, Psalm has already proven an incredible ability to transition between video games and still remain at the very top. He has previously shared some of his wider gaming successes, including Top 70 in Overwatch’s Season 1 ladder, reaching Global Elite rank in CS:GO, and hitting D3 in LoL in 2 months as a brand new player. In the last decade: -Top 20 Heroes of Newerth ladder -Diamond Starcraft II S1 (highest at the time) -DotA 2 semi-pro (this one I regret quitting) -CS:GO Global Elite -Top 70 Overwatch S1 ladder -Best HotS pro in NA -2nd at FN World Cup -Hit D3 in LoL in 2 months (brand new)— psalm (@psalm) December 31, 2019 While many wished him luck in his new adventures, others took the news as an opportunity to criticize Epic Games. Cented7, a professional Fortnite player for Team Liquid, asked: “How can an esports scene be so uncompetitive that the 2nd place winner at worlds literally quits the game”. Despite Psalm not citing Fortnite’s competitive decline as a reason for the switch, many have criticized Epic Games for failing to innovate either casual or competitive play in Chapter 2. While it certainly represents a leap of faith, Chang is clearly confident about his ability to switch between titles. Only time will tell if his confidence is well-founded.

  • Fortnite World Cup player Sceptic claims he paid shocking amount of taxes on winnings – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup player Sceptic claims he paid shocking amount of taxes on winnings Epic Games / ScepticFortnite pro Griffin ‘Sceptic’ Spikoski finished 35th in the Duos portion of the World Cup with Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod and claims he’s seeing just $14,000 of his $50,000 due to taxes from the United States and Poland. Sceptic and Clix earned $100,000 at the Fortnite World Cup and had that split evenly between the two. However, Sceptic says he is being double-taxed by both the United States and Poland, leaving him with just a fraction of his winnings, revealing that winning large sums of money isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. “I’m only getting $14K from World Cup,” he tweeted. “Since I was born (in) Poland both the US and Poland collect taxes…” Keep in mind that taxation like this is rare where two separate countries take cuts of your earnings are rare so if this is true it’d be a huge wake-up call in the face to the players who thought they’d be earning a lot more. Considering the World Cup allowed players from all across the world to compete, there would be many more players running into this issue. Clix’s earnings represent under a third of his winnings, so while he still came home with a lot of money playing Fortnite, he definitely has a right to be upset. 100 Thieves pro Kennith defended Clix against the negativity in his replies, saying if the same thing happened to them, they’d be mad too. “People saying “be grateful” yet if they earned 50k on paper but only received not even a third of that, theyd be upset too,” he tweeted. People saying “”be grateful”” yet if they earned 50k on paper but only received not even a third of that, theyd be upset too — 100T Kenith (@kenith) August 17, 2019 Unrelated to the taxed earnings, Clix and Sceptic parted ways following the end of the World Cup due to a difference in playstyles, along with leaving Misfits Gaming. “I split with Clix, looking for a new duo that believes in teamwork and chemistry,” Sceptic said about the split.

  • 5 dark horses that could win the Fortnite World Cup duos event – Dexerto

5 dark horses that could win the Fortnite World Cup duos event After ten weeks of intense qualifiers, the $30m Fortnite World Cup has finally arrived – we take a look at five duos that could surprise everyone at the event. Over 40 million players took place in the Fortnite World Cup online qualifiers, but only a select few made the cut for their chance to compete for a slice of the insane $30m prize pool. After the Creative World Cup final kicked off the action, the duos tournament takes center stage on July 27 – all information on how to watch the event can be found here. We take a closer look at five dark horses who could take home the trophy. 1 – Cizlucky and Brush Team: Tempo Storm Qualifying region: NA East Odds: 80/1 (per bet365) Tempo Storm duo Craig ‘Brush’ Hechmer and Chris ‘CizLucky’ Perez are well known in the competitive community thanks to their consistent placings during recent tournaments. After placing fourth in the Scallywag Cup back in March, they secured their spot at the World Cup during week four of the qualifiers, narrowly missing out on first place in the stacked NA East region. The pair have been teaming with Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo in recent trios events and the duo should place well if their usual chemistry shines through on the main stage. 2 – volx and Parpy Teams: Free Agent/Chiefs Esports Club Qualifying region: Oceania Odds: 80/1 (per bet365) Known as one of the top teams in the Oceania region, Abdullah ‘Parpy’ Khudeish and his duo partner ‘volx’ were dominant during the World Cup qualifiers, securing their place at the tournament with an extraordinary 1 place finish in week six. The pair managed to secure Victory Royales in five of their eight matches, as well as averaging a remarkable 12.8 eliminations per game meaning they should be a force to reckoned with in New York. If they manage to deal with the step up in competition, they have a great chance of winning some serious prize money. 3 – Nicks and pzfin Team: Cloud9 Qualifying region: South America Odds: 50/1 (per bet365) Following the overwhelming success of both these top Brazilian players, it was no surprise to see Cloud9 add Nicollas ‘Nicks’ Polonio de Oliveira and Pedro ‘pfzin’ Figueiredo Sé de Freitas to their competitive roster. As a duo, they tore up the South American qualifiers, booking their ticket to the United States by winning both week two and week six tournaments. Their consistency means they should not be taken lightly, finishing no lower than 11 place in the qualifiers. If they can handle the pressure of performing on the main stage, in a foreign country, they could be a surprise pick for the top spot. 4 – Vorwenn and Tuckz Teams: FaZe Clan/Atlantis Qualifying region: Europe Odds: 80/1 (per bet365) Representing Europe, FaZe Clan’s Tom ‘Vorwenn’ Baldrich will partner Team Atlantis’ Jordan ‘Tuckz’ Tucker in the hopes of winning big in New York City. The newly formed duo were a surprise package during the week ten qualifiers, finishing fifth in the hotly contested EU region to guarantee themselves at least $50k in prize money. Despite their lack of time as partners, their impressive display means they could place well with a bit of luck. However, with Tuckz revealing that he won’t be playing on his mouse of choice, the odds are stacked against them. 5 – Oslo and BadSniper Team: Team Vitality Qualifying region: Europe Odds: 100/1 (per bet365) Also hailing from EU, Team Vitality duo Phillippe ‘Oslo’ Carvalho and Zoubiri ‘BadSniper’ Naofel are looking to put France on the map despite being another relatively new duo. They secured their qualification spot during the week eight tournament, finishing fifth with 83 points. Despite a poor performance in week ten, they have had plenty of time to practice together and work on their flaws. Should they manage to pop off at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, they could be in with a shot at glory. Any of the above mentioned teams will have to find a way to best tournament favorites such as new FaZe Clan recruit Kyle ‘Mongraal‘ Jackson and his duo partner Dmitri ‘Mitr0’ Van de Vrie to be in with a chance of cementing themselves in Fortnite history. With just six games deciding who will emerge victorious, every team will know a great start would put them on the right path to lifting the trophy.

  • Fortnite World Cup: Epic Games reveal future plans for Storm Flip item – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup: Epic Games reveal future plans for Storm Flip item Epic GamesEpic Games have released an apologetic statement following the disastrous state of the first Fortnite Trios Cup, which forced them to disable the Storm Flip item. But, will the item be making a return any time soon? The game developers previously revealed that they had considered scrapping the competitive event altogether following the issue plagued weekend of the initial Trios Cup, but have instead opted to give players another opportunity to play on July 21. With the two main issues with the first competition being the material drop rates in games, as well as the influence of the Storm Flip item, there’s no doubt that some fans – and even competitors – would have been wondering if the latter would still be active come the start of the Fortnite World Cup finals on July 27. Now, they have an answer. What does the future hold for the Storm Flip? On July 19, Epic Games confirmed that the item, which was added to the popular battle royale game with the v9.20 content update, has been sent to the vault until the beginning of Season 10. “Storm Flip will remain disabled for Arena and all Tournaments, including the Fortnite World Cup, until Season 10 launch. This will be re-evaluated during the new season,” a statement from their website reads. 600The statement also addressed the state in which the Trios Cup went live, as many fans were left disappointed by the experience. “We want to acknowledge the state we launched the Trios Cup this past weekend. It went live with the incorrect playlist settings, something we should have caught with additional testing,” it says, before confirming that both semi-finals and finals of the new July 21 tournament will be all in the same day. “This time, the top 150 teams in the semi-finals will move into the final round. So gear up, practice with your Trios crew, and get ready for another shot at a chunk of the $1 million prize pool”. While the contents of this competitive Fortnite announcement may have confirmed much of what fans already knew about what’s coming up in the next few weeks, such as the arrival of the Xbox One Solos tournament on July 20, there’s no doubt that some players will be delighted to see the removal of the Storm Flip. Whether or not the item will return for a longer stint in Season 10 remains to be seen, but it’s definitely had a rocky start since being added to the game.

  • Fortnite World Cup duo Clix and Sceptic trade jabs after split – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup duo Clix and Sceptic trade jabs after split ClixHimself – TwitterThe first major breakup of the Fortnite World Cup has been revealed as Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod and Griffin ‘Sceptic’ Spikoski announced they are going their separate ways while taking some parting shots at each other. Clix and Sceptic were a duo that a lot of viewers had their eyes on going into the World Cup as both of them are immensely talented Fortnite players. However, the duo finished in 35th place out of 50, and while they were able to secure $100,000, it’s clear they both felt they could do better. Shortly after the World Cup concluded, both players announced they were splitting up. However, neither player could avoid taking jabs at the other and it’s created a rift of sorts between the fans of both players. Clix tweeted on July 28 that he was looking for a new duo and said there was no bad blood between him and Sceptic. “I’m looking for a new duo to play in all future duo events, feel free to dm me on Twitter,” he tweeted. “Likes and RT’s appreciated (no hate to sceptic, he’s the homie)” That was just the beginning of it as just a couple minutes after that tweet came out, Sceptic posted a similar message but took a shot with it as well. I’m looking for a new duo to play in all future duo events, feel free to dm me on twitter. Likes and RT’s Appreciated (No hate to sceptic, hes the homie) — Clix @ NYC FOR WC (@ClixHimself) July 29, 2019 “I split with Clix, looking for a new duo that believes in teamwork and chemistry,” Sceptic said. Those are strong shots at a fellow player, especially in Fortnite where teamwork and chemistry are key to becoming a successful duo. I split with Clix, looking for a new duo that believes in teamwork and chemistry. — Sceptic NYC (@Sceptic) July 29, 2019 As expected, Clix didn’t take this well, but said he’s going to remain mature about it. “I’m going to stay mature with this split, I don’t want to add attention to it,” he said. “I know my true fans will always support me, I’m just trying to the right/best thing for me as a player. Thanks guys.” I’m going to stay mature with this split, I don’t want to add attention to it. I know my true fans will always support me, I’m just trying to do the right/best thing for me as a player. Thanks guys ️ — Clix @ NYC FOR WC (@ClixHimself) July 29, 2019 A screenshot of an alleged deleted tweet revealed that Clix had a quick change of pace from calling Sceptic out to taking the high road. “I’m super disappointed with how Sceptic is acting, I’m being super mature about this duo situation but obviously Sceptic isn’t taking it the right way,” reads the alleged tweet. “Maybe you should say fucking congrats instead of blocking me on every social media Sceptic. I’m sorry, I’m just losing my patience.” Unfortunately, this doesn’t appear to have been a clean split between the two and now there’s a good chance that the drama surrounding the situation won’t end here.

  • Fortnite World Cup champion outearns Tiger Woods’ PGA Masters 2019 earnings – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup champion outearns Tiger Woods’ PGA Masters 2019 earnings Epic Games / PGA Tour – YouTubeThe winner of the Fortnite World Cup was able to bring home $3 million, surpassing the totals of tournaments like Wimbledon, The Masters and the PGA Championship. Tiger Woods, Novak Djokovic, and Brooks Koepka are some the biggest names in their respective sports and millions tune in to watch them perform each time they compete. However, that didn’t stop 16-year-old Fortnite phenom Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf from coming in as a relatively unknown player and taking home the coveted grand prize. ESPN posted a graphic revealing that Bugha’s prize was bigger than many major tournament wins in 2019, some of them by a huge margin. Tiger Woods was only able to bring home a little over $2 million in his Masters win in April, which was a monumental milestone for the golf pro as it was his first Major championship since 2008’s U.S. Open. For those out there who are unaware of the draw that esports has, seeing this graphic comparing the prize winnings can be jaw-dropping. Fortnite boasted the largest prize pool seen in esports at the time of the World Cup and Epic will hope to keep that rolling into the inevitable second World Cup. Keep in mind that most other esports don’t come to a prize pool this large. On top of this, the prize money won’t stop coming for Fortnite players despite the World Cup being finished. During the July 28 broadcast, Epic Games announced the competitive circuit coming to the game in Season 10 called the Fortnite Championship series. This new series will run the length of the season and let fans once again prove to their competitors who the best Fortnite players are. Epic haven’t revealed a whole lot about how this series will work but it’s clear they are interested in keeping esports alive and consistently increasing the prize pool.

  • Fortnite World Cup date and venue confirms Season 10 will impact tournament – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup date and venue confirms Season 10 will impact tournament Epic GamesA new announcement about the location and date for the Fortnite World Cup has seemingly revealed that the game’s tenth season will impact competitive play. When is the Fortnite World Cup? On April 8, Epic Games announced that the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center’s Arthur Ashe Stadium, in New York City, has been chosen to play host to the upcoming Fortnite World Cup on July 26-28. However, in the announcement, Epic also let slip a few key details about Fortnite Season 10 before players have even had a chance to finish up with Season 8, which still has a number of weeks to run, or dive into the upcoming Season 9 – of which the theme and details are still up in the air. What has Epic announced about Season 10? In Epic’s announcement about tickets and the location, they revealed that all ticketed fans who attend the three-day World Cup event will receive some free V-Bucks in addition to the Season 10 Battle Pass. The exact amount is unknown, though. Ticket holders must be in attendance to claim the free gifts – meaning that players can’t simply buy tickets linked to their main account, receive their rewards and watch the action unfold from the comfort of their own home. They have to make the trip to Flushing, New York. Claim your seat at the Fortnite World Cup! Tickets are available for pre-registration: https://t.co/AXYWA6kfCi — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) April 8, 2019 When does Fortnite Season 10 start? While the release dates for Season 10 or Season 9 are yet to be confirmed, it seems possible that the World Cup may fall between the changing of the season. If so, that could have major implications for the game’s meta – with new weapons, items, and possible vehicles being added. While a number of pros have spoken out in the past about Epic making such significant changes during events, it seems as if their calls may have fallen on deaf ears – despite the developer’s previous promise to not have big changes overlap with tournament dates. It remains to be seen if Epic respond to clear up any possible concerns about having their major event falling between a game-altering set of updates.

The team that finishes the four games with the most llamas will secure first place and the $1 million cash prize. Who will be playing the World Cup Pro-Am? This weekend’s Pro-Am will be the third ever running of the competition, and much like the previous two, it will be a very star-studded affair. As usual, 50 prominent members of the Fortnite community have been paired with 50 celebrities, and they will all do battle for a $3 million charity prize pool. Celebrities include athletes, musicians, actors, and others, some of whom are pretty proficient at Fortnite, while a few may have never even played the game before. Ninja and popular DJ Marshmello will be teaming up for the first time since the pair claimed victory at the first ever Pro-Am last summer, while former League of Legends pro Airwaks and musician RL Grime will look to defend their title after winning it all last month in Los Angeles. The full list of participants for the World Cup Pro-Am can be seen below: What format will be used at the Pro-Am? Much like the Pro-Am that was held last month in Los Angeles, the one at the Fortnite World Cup features a scoring system that is based both on eliminations and placement. Duos will earn one point per elimination, three points if in the top 15, five points if finishing in the top 10, seven points if they finish in the top five, and 10 points for a Victory Royale. There will be a total of four matches played, and the Duo with the most points at the end will be crowned champions. Last updated July 26, 2019 at 9:20 PM EST

  • Fortnite World Cup Champion amazes viewers with insane edit speeds – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup Champion amazes viewers with insane edit speeds Epic Games / TodayFortnite World Cup Champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf routinely leaves his audience floored with the ripping speeds that he can build and subsequently edit in the battle royal. Bugha climbed the mountain of the world’s best Fortnite players to net himself the highest prize for the battle royale while securing a handsome sum of $3 million before New York’s extreme taxes took effect. Still though, he didn’t win out at the World Cup relying on the game’s RNG or sitting back to let the lobby kill itself. Among other traits, he used his astounding build speeds to outclass his opponents when it mattered the most. When Bugha streams, instead of a camera pointed to his face, he opts to show exactly what his wrist is doing at all times. While this is a sure-fire way of silencing anybody who thinks he might be hacking, it’s also an effective method for showing off how quick his edits can be. During any typical firefight in Fortnite, it can get a little jarring seeing how fast me maneuvers a build, and even more so when he makes precision edits to trick or confuse his opposition. One instance shows him in the midst of a stalemate between a few teams near Lazy Lagoon. While trying to work the angles, Bugha takes a small break to warm up his edits while there’s some downtime. The clip is a perfect example of what practice can yield, seeing as he makes his way through various levels in his build without skipping a beat. Baffled Fortnite fans even see how Bugha could be faster than newly signed FaZe member Mongraal, who’s been widely known to have insane matches featuring lightning fast builds while fighting in the battle royale. Fortnite has come a long way since the Season 1 meta, where fights were set up with a few ramps out in the open as players scrambled to knock them down to get the best shot at an opponent. While the simpler days of Fortnite might be gone, it’ll be interesting to see how players like Bugha further evolve the game’s playstyle as more players start to master faster speeds of editing builds.

  • Fortnite leak reveals another Witcher crossover starring Ciri – Dexerto

Fortnite leak reveals another Witcher crossover starring Ciri CD Projekt RedA Fortnite dataminer uncovered files that show another Witcher crossover is on the way, this time starring Ciri. Fortnite’s first Witcher collaboration went live earlier this year, introducing a Geralt of Rivia skin inspired by the character’s appearance in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The crossover also added a Geralt-centric loading screen, Igni Sign emote, Steel Sword, and more. But Fortnite players wouldn’t mind seeing more from the world of the Witcher. And it seems Epic Games has recognized as much, based on newly datamined information shared by a reliable Fortnite leaker. A certain Lady of Space and Time may soon drop onto the Island, as well. Fortnite leak indicates a Witcher crossover starring Ciri is incoming Trusted Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey has discovered an encrypted Fortnite x Witcher collab that points to an upcoming Ciri-centric release. A Banner icon depicting Ciri’s countenance sits at the center of the dataminer’s findings. In a subsequent Twitter post, iFireMonkey noted that the second Witcher crossover will come with “two creative islands.” Apparently, fans can also expect Ciri to launch with a Glider, though what it will involve is anyone’s guess. (Geralt’s glider was an inflatable version of his beloved horse, Roach.) Since Epic has yet to announce Fortnite’s next Witcher crossover, there’s no word on when exactly Ciri will join the fun. However, the update could coincide with the release of the Netflix show’s third season, the first volume of which will begin streaming on Thursday, June 29. And the last half of The Witcher Season 3 won’t premiere until next month on Thursday, July 27. The precedent set by previous brand collaborations suggests Ciri could make her Fortnite debut sometime in the coming weeks.

  • Fortnite wolf locations: Where do wolves spawn in Season 8? – Dexerto

Fortnite wolf locations: Where do wolves spawn in Season 8? Epic GamesWolves are still roaming around in Fortnite Season 8, but their spawn locations are a little different now, thanks to some significant map changes. Here’s where you can find them. Wild animals were one of the most exciting additions in Fortnite Season 6, and Wolves are still featured across the map in Season 8. Not only are these intimidating creatures deadly, but they can also become a powerful ally if you manage to tame them. Getting yourself a canine companion isn’t the only reason you’ll want to find a Wolf in Fortnite Season 8, though: You’ll also need to ‘Hunt a Wolf’ in order to progress through Grim Fable’s Character Punchcard and earn yourself a sweet 30,000 XP. Tracking Wolves down can be a little tricky, as they don’t always spawn in the same places each match. There are some common locations, though, so here’s everything you need to know about finding these ferocious creatures in the current Fortnite season. Wolf spawn locations in Fortnite Season 8 The best place to find Wolves in Fortnite Season 8 is at Stealthy Stronghold. There are two places they can spawn here, either inside the stronghold itself or outside the northeast corner, near the cliff edge. Here are all of the potential locations were Wolves can spawn in Fortnite Season 8: Inside and northeast of Stealthy Stronghold – Outside FN Radio (east of Craggy Cliffs) – South of Believer Beach – Southwest of Boney Burbs – Southwest of Dirty Docks – Northwest and southeast corners of Weeping Woods – Near Defiant Dish (south of The Aftermath) – West of Lazy Lake – Northeast of Catty Corner – The gas station west of Misty Meadows – We’ve also marked these locations on the Fortnite Season 8 map above, which should make finding them a little easier (especially if they’re at unmarked locations like FN Radio or Defiant Dish). It’s important to note that wolves roam around the Island, and they won’t always spawn in each of these locations in every match, so you’ll most likely need to search a few places before you eventually find one. How to ‘Hunt a Wolf’ for Grim Fable’s Punchcard in Fortnite Just like in real life, Wolves often hunt in packs in Fortnite, so you’ll rarely find one by itself. This means you need to come prepared with a weapon or two, as they can easily take you down when teaming up. Read More: Best weapons in Fortnite Season 8 ranked – In order to ‘hunt’ a Wolf for the Grim Fable Character Punchcard quest, you simply need to deal enough damage to eliminate it (before it eliminates you!) and you’ll earn 30,000 XP for your troubles. Fortnite Winterfest trailer leaked: new skins revealed The trailer for the much anticipated Winterfest event in Fortnite Battle Royale has leaked, ahead of the event officially going live in-game on December 18. Initially expected on December 17, Winterfest was delayed, with the v11.31 update released on December 18, set to bring a new all-snow map, limited-time modes and more. The trailer for the event surfaced on social media shortly after the update, revealing new Christmassy skins, including a reindeer and Christmas tree. Better Winterfest Trailer Video! HD Download: https://t.co/NYLa4aDMlF pic.twitter.com/NVlTry7RZe— HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 18, 2019 The trailer also shows the new ‘Winterfest Cabin’, which is expected to have an in-game use, as some sort of hub for the event, perhaps where the presents are granted. The full Winterfest event is expected to get underway on December 18, but exact details of everything included remain unclear. We do already have our first look at the completely snow-covered map, as well as the leaked rewards and presents that will be granted for completing challenges, similar to the 14 Days of Fortnite event in 2018. It’s still not exactly clear what time the Winterfest event will start fully, but it’s expected to be some point on December 18. Some fans have observed that when Fortnitemares started, it wasn’t live in-game until around six hours after the update was available. It’s possible that similar timeframe will take place for Winterfest. With the trailer now leaked, it’s bound to only be a matter of time until the event itself is finally in full-swing, but Epic Games are keeping everyone in suspense for now.

  • Fortnite Winter Trials event and free rewards leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Winter Trials event and free rewards leaked Epic GamesIf you’ve been pining for more Fortnite content to sink your teeth into then get ready, Epic Games has revealed the Winter Trials, an in-game tournament that will allow players of the battle royale game to earn some free items like sprays and wraps. In-game tournaments in Fortnite are nothing new and now it seems like a new one will be cropping up very soon. As originally spotted by some eagle-eyed leakers like HYPEX and ShiinaBR, a new event called the Winter Trials is set to go live in Fortnite in the very near future. While the event hasn’t been announced by Epic Games themselves, the website has been in a fluctuating state of live and offline for a while now, meaning an official announcement could be coming very soon. Details about the tournament itself are scarce but if the website is anything to go off of, players will be able to sign-in using their Epic account, pledge themselves to a team based on a notable content creator, and then play Fortnite to earn points, badges, and in-game items. These are the rewards you can win for participating in the challenge! If you want to see more information, visit this website: https://t.co/sj6mCFxPkc pic.twitter.com/YLRAlmNYY5 — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) January 25, 2021 Right now, it seems like fans will be able to earn badges by completing challenges, which will be voted on by the community. Some of these challenges include not being able to use weapons to damage other players or be tasked with completing as many bounties as possible. The rewards seem to be pretty interesting, with everything from a spray to an exclusive weapon wrap up for grabs. Given how little we know, more details about the rewards and tournament aren’t available, however, leaker HYPEX was able to grab a video of the website before it was taken back down. How to earn Winter Trials rewards Fortnite’s website details exactly how players can collect badges to earn the unique Winter Trials rewards. “To get rewards you need to sign in to the website and collect badges by completing various tasks. Please refer to the rewards section to see how many badges you need for each prize.” Here are all of the specific tasks players need to complete to earn badges: Logging in to activate challenges (One badge) – Voting for challenges (One badge rewarded per challenge) – Clicking thumbs up on a team’s website (One badge per day) – Playing Fortnite for 20 minutes (Unlimited – players rewarded a badge for every 20 minutes spent in core game modes) – It’s worth noting to be eligible for this event you’ll need to ensure your Fortnite statistics are open to the public. This can be done by heading to your Fortnite settings in-game, clicking the ‘Account and Privacy’ section, and turning on the ‘Show on Career Leaderboard’ setting. Hopefully, that’s told you everything you need to know about the Winter Trials and how to earn the new and unique cosmetics. We’ll be sure to update this article if any new rewards or information becomes available.

  • Fortnite Whirlpools disabled again due to new Season 3 “God Mode” glitch – Dexerto

Fortnite Whirlpools disabled again due to new Season 3 “God Mode” glitch Epic GamesWhirlpools are proving to be tricky business in Fortnite Season 3. First they were disappearing. Now they are giving players God Mode, forcing Epic to disable them for the time being. Whirlpools are one of the new methods of transport in Fortnite Season 3. With the map inundated with water, the torrents have provided a handy way to jump across from island to island. However, they haven’t been without their issues. Last week, Whirlpools turned invisible — leading to jokes about Epic disabling them with no reason. Now, there’s a very good reason to disable them. A new “God Mode” exploit has been found involving Whirlpools which players have been abusing, forcing Epic to once again take them off the map. “Due to an issue, we’re temporarily disabling Whirlpools in all playlists,” the devs said on July 9. Due to an issue, we’re temporarily disabling Whirlpools in all playlist. We’ll provide an update when they have returned. pic.twitter.com/MJF738wlsd — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) July 10, 2020 It’s unclear how the Whirlpool God Mode glitch occurred. However, it could be similar to a glitch late last week uncovered by Aussie YouTuber Lannan ‘LazarBeam’ Eacott. LazarBeam didn’t share his secrets — so as to not let people abuse it. However, players caught on. Through a mix of Whirlpools and Secret Passages, players were able to get God Mode. While they couldn’t use weapons, when you are invisible and invincible, a pickaxe is enough to win. It’s not the only God Mode glitch that has forced Epic to change their course in Fortnite Season 3. Secret Passages alone were enough to get the exploit, which forced Epic to disable the portaloos for a day. If you have a “Use a Whirlpool” challenge awaiting you to complete your Season 3 battle pass missions, you’ll need to hang tight. Epic hasn’t stated whether they’ll be awarding free XP to players — like they did with the Floating Rings glitch at Pleasant Park. Also, if you’ve been abusing the Whirlpool God Mode glitch before it was disabled, you might be in for an unpleasant surprise. Epic hasn’t feared to swing the ban hammer before for players abusing exploits. If another similar glitch pops up this season, it might be best to stay away, especially if you want to keep your account.

  • Fortnite Winter Royale won by rising stars – Final Placements – Dexerto

Fortnite Winter Royale won by rising stars – Final Placements The Fortnite Winter Royale duos event has come and gone, with players taking home some nice chunks of change. Here, you’ll be able to find the results for the top teams and notable regions. Following on from the uber-successful Fortnite World Cup and the first real season of competitive events, Epic Games followed up on the popular Winter Royale with a second installment. The duos competition, which boasted a $15 million prize pool across three days of play and three different platform types, was contested by some of the best players around as they tried to bag some extra cash in time for the holidays. However, it was again some of the scene’s unknown and rising stars that managed to take home the glory. The event was split up into the classic regions of NA East, NA West, Europe, Brazil, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East – with a relatively similar prize pool split between the seven regions. As is usual though, the majority of eyes were on the NA East event, as high profile names like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, and Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf competed. At the end of day one, it was FaZe Clan’s Diggy and his duo Marz that reigned supreme. They couldn’t hold on to the top spot for the following days, however, as Kreo and Bucke took home the win on day two while Ajerss and Innocents bettered their first-day second-place with a win on day three. Across the pond in Europe, day one of the PC competition belonged to saevid and scolly – as they claimed victory with a 22 point gap to second place. Day two’s winning squad came in the form of MCES duo Orkh and Podsai, as they pipped Rezon Ay and Ditrxx to top spot by five points. Though, on day three, it was the team Xypher duo of Prizmhy and Virsuh who managed a late rally to take home the victory and $4,500 each. The tables below indicate the top five placing teams for the PC event on each separate day of the Winter Royale from the regions that haven’t been covered above. The full placements for the Winter Royale can be found via the FortniteTracker website, if you so wish to dig through and find out who finished in 316th and who finished in 1000 spots across console and mobile. Where to destroy Slurp Barrels to complete Fortnite’s Week 7 challenge Epic GamesTo finish Fortnite’s Week 7 challenges, you’ll have to destroy Slurp Barrels. Here’s the best location to find them and quickly complete the task at hand. Another week of Fortnite action means another set of weekly challenges for players to complete. There may have just been a big v15.20 update, but that doesn’t mean Epic has forgotten about the Week 7 challenges. As well as some standard quests like consuming shield potions and searching chests, players looking to earn enough XP to level up and fill out their Battle Pass will need to destroy a set number of Slurp Barrels. Here’s the best location where you can find Slurp Barrels and get this challenge ticked off. Where to find Slurp Barrels in Fortnite Dedicated Fortnite players will know that one of the best places to find Slurp of any kind is at Slurpy Swamp. As the name suggests, this point of interest is full of the good stuff that helps restore your health and shield. The location, which is actually a Slurp factory, is home to giant Slurp Silos, Slurp Trucks, and even Slurp-infused water that will slowly heal you if you stand in it for a prolonged period of time. But what you’re looking for right now are Slurp Barrels. Once you leave the Battle Bus at the start of a new match, you’ll want to land straight into Slurpy Swamp as quickly as you can and get searching for the barrels; this area will no doubt be busy over the next week as many of the Week 7 challenges can be completed here. Slurp Barrel locations at Slurpy Swamp Slurp Barrels can be found dotted in multiple locations around the area, and often come in sets of two or three (and sometimes four), meaning it shouldn’t take you too long to find them all. There’s a building to the northeast of Slurpy Swamp that you should definitely pay a visit to, as it contains multiple Slurp Barrels for you to stumble across. The section we’ve marked on the map above has eight barrels bunched together. Read More: Where to find Predator’s ship in Fortnite – Once you find the barrels, simply destroy them with a few hits of your pickaxe. Get a grand total of 10, and you’ll have completed this week’s challenge and earned yourself a sweet 20,000 XP. While you’re already here, it’s probably a good idea to complete a few other weekly challenges such as ‘Search Chests in Slurpy Swamp’ and ‘Visit Houses in Slurpy Swamp in One Match’ as well. • Fortnite: Where to ‘Search the tiny rubber ducky at hidden spot’ 14 Days of Summer challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: Where to ‘Search the tiny rubber ducky at hidden spot’ 14 Days of Summer challenge The end of Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event is fast approaching with just two challenges remaining – here is how to complete the ‘Search the tiny rubber ducky at the spot hidden in the Summertime Splashdown loading screen’ task. Epic Games announced they would be taking a two-week break after a hectic year, but left players with plenty of challenges to keep them occupied and earn some free cosmetic items on the way. After tasking players with visiting a giant beach umbrella and a huge rubber duck in their last chore, players will once again be forced to venture around the map to find a hidden rubber ducky found somewhere on a beach. Unlike the previous objective, there isn’t multiple parts to this challenge, meaning you should be able to complete it one just one game – provided you can avoid elimination before reaching the hidden location. The hidden rubber ducky is located south of Paradise Palms, just outside the small desert town commonly referred to as ‘Westworld’. It can be easily be obtained by jumping from the battle bus when overhead, or pulling your glider early and slowly descending to the bottom of the map. Situated in a bathtub, the ducky will be visible. Location of tiny rubber ducky in Summertime Splashdown loading screen 600Once you’ve reach this spot on the map, you’ll see the tiny rubber ducky tucked away in the bathtub – seen here in game. Simply interact with the ducky to complete the challenge and earn your reward. • Fortnite: Where to find keys and campfires to unlock Prisoner (Snowfall) skin stages – Dexerto

Fortnite: Where to find keys and campfires to unlock Prisoner (Snowfall) skin stages The Snowfall skin named ‘Prisoner’ is finally available for players in Fortnite, after completing 60 of the 63 weekly challenges in Season 7, but there is more to do if you want to fully unlock the prisoner. Here’s how to unlock stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4. Firstly, you will need to unlock the Prisoner skin itself – to do so, you need to complete weekly challenges, and then find the hidden battle star. We have a full guide and map for the location of the Week 9 battle star here. Still shackled by chains and locks, the prisoner will need your help to be entirely set free, and to do so you will need to find a set of keys. How to unlock Prisoner Skin Stage 2 (Key) Unsurprisingly, this first key can be found at the same location as the prisoner was previously trapped – inside the Polar Peak castle. YouTuber HeyStani shows the key is located on a desk on the north of Polar Peak mountain, and you will need to be rocking the prisoner skin to interact with it. This will only unlock stage two of the skin, which admittedly isn’t all that impressive, but you will need to go in order if you want to fully unleash the Snowfall character. You can see all the stages of the skin here. How to unlock Prisoner skin Stage 3 (Campfire) To unlock stage 3 of the Prisoner skin, players will need to interact with the new environmental campfires. First hinted at with the week 10 loading screen, which sees the Prisoner sitting at a campfire, the campfire in question has finally been located. New for week 10, the campfire marked on the map below is the one you will need to interact with (while wearing the Prisoner skin) to unlock Stage 3. Here’s the campfire location in game. How to unlock Prisoner Skin Stage 4 The path to unlocking the fourth and final stage of the Prisoner skin has finally been discovered, and like Stage 3, required interaction with fire. This time however, it’s multiple fires, as the Prisoner performs a ritual, just north of Wailing Woods. See the map below for the exact location you need to head to. For extra help, see our full guide to unlocking Stage 4 here. If you still haven’t completed enough Season 7 challenges to unlock the Snowfall skin, you can fly through them with out complete weekly guides. Also make sure you check out the challenge guide for the new Showtime challenges. Now that every Stage of the Prisoner skin is available, players are now waiting to see what he does next. The earthquake has already started, and it’s likely the Prisoner has a role to play in whatever destruction is to come.

Fortnite: Where to find ‘five different public service announcement signs’ for Week 9, Season 10 challenge Season 9, Week 10 challenges were officially released on Thursday, July 11, with seven new challenges available to Fortnite players trying to earn some Battle Stars. This challenge requires players to visit some of the public service announcement signs and posters that have been plastered across the walls at Neo Tilted, Pressure Plant, and Mega Mall. But, if you’re struggling to find these signs, we’ve got some handy maps which should help you out. Where to find public service announcement signs at Neo Tilted Neo Tilted has six public service signs dotted around the city, but it may be the hardest locations to complete this challenge. With Neo Tilted one of the most popular dropping points on the entire map, managing to hit all six of the signs found here in a single match is unlikely, but you should be able to hit a couple before you find yourself battling enemies. Where to find public service announcement signs at Mega Mall Mega Mall, a brand new location added at the start of Season 9, also features six of these signs dotted around the sprawling shopping hub. All of the signs at Mega Mall are located inside the building itself, so enter through the front door and start hunting for them, as they are plastered on walls and columns throughout the mall. Where to find public service announcement signs at Pressure Plant Finally, the last area of the map that has these public service announcement signs is at Pressure Plant, where the massive dog robot for the Doggus event is currently being constructed. The good news is that this challenge doesn’t need to be completed in a single match, or in a single location, so feel free to visit whichever of the locations you choose.

  • Fortnite: Where to find Ice Cream Cones – Dexerto

Fortnite: Where to find Ice Cream Cones Epic GamesThe much awaited Summer Escape event in Fortnite is here and it brings some chilled up Ice Cream Cones consumables to the island for players to use during their survival on the Battle Royale Island. Here’s how you can find them in Fortnite and complete related quests. In Fortnite, players can restock their health and shields using a number of consumable items during a Battle Royale match. Players can choose from a range of healing items, such as popping a mini or using the Med-Mist to fend off the wasps in the Wilds. A brand new Summer Escape event has arrived on the island, and with it comes the return of an old favorite: Ice Cream Cones, a consumable item first introduced in 2022 that has helped players beat the heat from the sweats on their way to Victory Royale. While the usual consumables can easily be found around the island and players are well aware of their availability, if you’re looking to find Ice Cream Cones and completing some quests, here’s how to get them in Fortnite. Where to find Ice Cream Cones in Fortnite As part of the Summer Escape Event, which runs until July 18, 2023, Ice Cream cones can now be found in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. The new consumable item can be picked up as floor loot, but the most reliable way to find it is by looting a Cooler or an Ice Machine. Coolers and Ice Machines aren’t too hard to find. They can both be found at gas stations and grocery stores and other POIs on the map as shown below. The number that appears above each icon is the total number of containers of that type that can be found at or near that symbol’s location in the game. Currently, there are five different types of Ice Cream Cones in Fortnite. They are: Normal Ice Cream Cone – Restores five points of health to the consuming player. – Frozen Ice Cream Cone – Restores five points of health and adds a frozen status buff to the consuming player. – Guzzling Ice Cream Cone – Restores health up to 100 at a rate of 2 points per second. – Spicy Ice Cream Cone – Restores five points of health and adds a speed boost that lasts for 25 seconds. – Lil’Whip’s Special Serve – Instantly replenishes health and shield for 100 points. – Players can use these cones to complete the special Summer Escape Quests for some exciting rewards and a huge amount of XP. • Fortnite: Where to find all helmets for the Singularity skin – Dexerto

Fortnite: Where to find all helmets for the Singularity skin Epic GamesUnlocking Fortnite‘s Season 9 Singularity skin is just half of the job – you’re going to need to collect several helmets if you want all the color variants. Here’s where you can find them. Character skins are some of the most coveted items in Fortnite, and the new Singularity skin has players combing the map from top to bottom to find the hidden Fortbytes needed to unlock her. But that’s not all that’s needed – once that’s complete, players also have to find several helmets scattered around if they want every color variation. That’s where we come in: we’ve found them for you. Helmet #1 – Rex Style The Rex Style helmet is one of the more difficult helmets to find, as it’s literally in the middle of nowhere. To make your search easier, head north-west of Salty Springs and south-west of the floating platform. Read More: Tfue shows off the strength of aim assist – Here, you should find the helmet planted on the side of a hill. It can be difficult to spot at first as it blends into the grass, so be vigilant when trying to locate it. Helmet #2 – Durr Burger Style Players will need to head to Neo Tilted for this helmet, which unlocks the Durr Burger Style variant once collected. The helmet is in front of the infamous Singularity statue, and sits on the left outcropping. This is an easy one to find, but can be difficult depending on how many people are trying to find it at the same time. Helmet #3 – Drift Style The Drift Style helmet can be found just north-east of Polar Peak, and sits next to a table and a crate. It’s an easier one to find, since its gold and pink colors make it stick out from the surrounding snow. Like usual, be vigilant when hunting for this one, since multiple players will probably be staking out the spot for any signs of enemies since most character skins make opponents easy to spot against the contract of the icy area. Helmet #4 – Cuddle Style Players will need to head to the Pressure Plant for the Cuddle Style helmet, which is located in the northern section past the giant robot. You’ll spot it on top of the northern platform just behind the set of yellow railings. Helmet #5 – Pizza Style The last, pizza-inspired helmet is located just north of Loot Lake. It’s sat on a small ledge that overlooks the Vault, and is relatively easy to find. Just be careful not to get too hungry thinking about pizza and its cheese-filled goodness while you hunt for it, though. (Special thanks to ‘wolker4‘ on YouTube for the locations.) If you manage to find all the Fortbytes and the helmets, you’ll be rewarded with all of the Singularity skin variants, which you can then proudly show off in your next match.

  • Fortnite: What is the mysterious floating ice sphere and why is it important? – Everything we know so far – Dexerto

Fortnite: What is the mysterious floating ice sphere and why is it important? – Everything we know so far A mysterious ice sphere has appeared above Polar Peak on the Fortnite Battle Royale map and many players are confused as to what it is and what it’s there for. Having first appeared after the massive v7.20 update went live on January 15, the orb-like has a glassy surface made of ice, has a light blue glow radiating around it, and is located precisely over the courtyard of the castle that sits atop Polar Peak. Players have obviously tried to build and get close to it, and anyone who ventures within touching distance of the sphere sees their screen get whited out by a swirl of ice and snow. Furthermore, the sphere continuously emits is a low pitched echoing noise combined with the sounds of the swirling snow, which adds an extra layer of eeriness to its presences. All this considered, it’s safe assume that the sphere is not there just for aesthetic purposes; there has to be a reason for its addition and data miners have been hard at work trying to figure out what that reason is. One popular theory is that the sphere is somehow tied to the Ice Storm in-game event that has been leaked and is apparently coming soon to Fortnite. Not only do the visual aspects and effects of the sphere support this, game files have been discovered that point to this being a very likely possibility. According to files leaked by prominent data miner Lucas7Yoshi, the sphere will at some point shatter and cue the start of the event, which the developers have seemingly nicknamed ‘Mooney,’ according to the files. As for the eerie low-pitched noise, Reddit user MomoRM8 has recorded the sound and put it on a spectrograph to see if there’s anything interesting that might show in the scan results. This is, of course, not a randomly thought of idea; players have always analyzed odd noises in Fortnite using spectrographs and have often been met with teasing and revealing clues. As was the case then, MomoRM8’s scan in fact did reveal something very interesting about the noise, as can be seen in the results below. The circled shape in the scan very much resembles the figure used by Epic Games to tease Season 7 prior to its launch, which turned out to be the face of the Legendary Ice King character and cosmetic skin. It turns out that the presence of the Ice King’s face in the scan is far from a coincidence; Lucas7Yoshi would later discover that hiding inside the floating sphere is none other than the Ice King powering its existence. Using programming tools, the data miner was able to view a later stage of the sphere in action, and it shows the Ice King inside it a flares of blue fire emanate outwards from its surface. Although there is no evidence to support or refute this, it’s likely that the video below shows the sphere in one of its stages prior to its final form, which is when the Ice Storm event would supposedly begin. Video explains itself No hacking to the game itself was done to achieve this, no competitive advantage was gained. This does not violate the Fortnite/Epic Games TOS in anyway that i know of. • Fortnite: What team has Symfuhny signed with? – Dexerto

Fortnite: What team has Symfuhny signed with? Popular Fortnite streamer Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier is finally signing to a professional organization, but who could he join? Lanier is regarded as one of the best editors in the game and has racked up $138,450 in tournament winnings putting him at #34 in the all-time top earners on Fortnite; making him one of the best free agents currently on the market. As a result of consistently placing well during Skirmish events and averaging a high amount of Twitch viewers, signing to a professional team seemed like the next move for the 19-year-old. However, unlike many top streamers, Symfuhny resisted the urge to pen a contract with an organization, until now The former H1Z1 player hinted on his March 5 stream that he may or may not be signing a contract with an org. This was later confirmed by Liquid Poach after Symfuhny joined his chat and confirmed the deal had been signed. We take a closer look at which team may have secured his services… TSM have been making massive statements of intent in the Fortnite competitive scene in recent weeks after signing one of the most consistent duos in the game – Vinny and Zexrow. After dropping Cowboy from their pro team, a spot for Symfuhny may have opened up. TSM Myth is still trying to find a long-term duo partner and the pair have played together in the past. Symfuhny’s excellent average viewer count on Twitch makes him the perfect addition to the TSM team should he wish to continue as a content creator rather than a pro player. Founded by Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, 100 Thieves have recently revamped their Fortnite roster following Epic Games’ announcement of the $30m World Cup event. Ceice, Blind, Kyzui and Elevate all signed contracts recently to join Kenith, Parallax and SirDimetrious on the team. While Symfuhny may not have performed as well as others in elite level competitions, his popularity makes him a perfect signing for 100T as they look to establish themselves in the Fortnite community again. Given Symfuhny’s strong relationship with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, FaZe Clan is another contender for his signature. The pair have played together on stream for a long time and were often found pairing up to play in Tfue’s ‘Tfault Scrims’. FaZe have been aggressive in their recruitment, signing many rising players to their ranks recently, including Nate Hill’s duo partner – Funkbomb. Symfuhny is extremely marketable meaning it makes perfect sense for FaZe to bring him on board as a content creator. However, their recent signings have been more competitive based which means he may have been overlooked. Nevertheless, Jaomock is searching for a new team-mate after splitting from Tennp0 and Symfuhny could be the ideal target. Finally, Ghost Gaming could also be in the mix with Ghost Aydan searching for a new duo partner on the West Coast. The popular controller player confirmed on Twitter that he would be moving to California and was searching for a long-term player to grind with ahead of the World Cup. Despite living in Texas, teaming up with Aydan could be an interesting move if Symfuhny is serious about playing well at the upcoming tournament. Ghost have one of the largest rosters in the world and adding Lanier to their ranks would be another stellar addition.

Fortnite Welcome to Pandora challenges: All Vault Symbol locations Graphics: Epic Games, GearboxEpic Games have activated the Welcome to Pandora challenges to kick off the collaboration between Fortnite and Borderlands. Here’s where you can find the Vault Symbols in-game to complete them. The Fortnite X Mayhem event kicked off on August 27, and players can already get their hands on a number of cosmetics, or other rewards, inspired by Gearbox Software’s famous franchise. Some of the challenges inside the Welcome to Pandora list will require you to visit the new Pandora Rift Zone point of interest, one of the biggest map changes from the v10.20 patch, and this one is no different. There are three Vault Symbols dotted around the Fortnite Season 10 map and if you want to tick off all of them as soon as possible, you have come to the right place. Our helpful map, which can be found below, indicates the precise locations of each Vault Symbol, and will enable you to complete the ‘Search 3 different Vault Symbols’ mission very quickly. • Fortnite Week 8 Dive Mission challenges and loading screen leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Week 8 Dive Mission challenges and loading screen leaked We’re still in Week 7 of Fortnite Chapter 2’s first season, but data miners have already managed to find the full list of challenges for week 8, called Dive! First introduced in Season 10 of Chapter 1, unlike previous seasons in the first chapter of Fortnite, the new weekly challenge system now uses ‘missions’. These missions include a list of tasks that must be completed, and by completing a certain number you will unlock the new loading screen for that week. The hidden E can be seen propped up on the lampost in the right-hand side of the image. You’ll still have to complete eight of the Dive! challenges and unlock the loading screen to access the final hidden letter though. It’s believed this hidden letter will unlock the secret skin, which has also been leaked.

  • Fortnite Week 8 challenge: How to blow up a gas pump – Dexerto

Fortnite Week 8 challenge: How to blow up a gas pump Epic GamesOne of Fortnite Season 5’s Week 8 challenges will require you to find and blow up a gas pump. Here’s how and where to do it, with a handy location map to help. As with any new week of Fortnite action, there’s a brand new set of weekly challenges for players to complete. Ticking them off will help you earn that all-important XP to level up your Battle Pass and earn some sweet cosmetics. This week, the focus is on farming, with three challenges that require you to visit specific locations to complete farming-related activities, including destroying tomato produce boxes and delivering a truck to Sunflower’s Farm. But there’s also a random challenge that asks you to blow up a gas pump. We’re not sure why anyone would want to do that under normal circumstances, so we’re here to tell you exactly how – and where – to do it. How to destroy gas pumps in Fortnite Once you’ve found a gas station with at least one gas pump still standing out the front, you’ll need to destroy it. There are several ways you can do this, so pick your favorite and get to it. The simplest way of doing this is to shoot the gas pump with a weapon. Eventually, after dealing enough damage, it will explode. Make sure there’s enough distance between you so you don’t receive any damage. Here’s how to complete the ‘Blow up a gas pump’ Fortnite challenge: Exit the Battle Bus and land near a gas station. – Find a weapon nearby. – Put a bit of distance between yourself and the gas pump so you don’t get damaged. – Shoot the gas pump out the front of the station until it explodes. – Success! You’ll earn 20,000 XP if done correctly. – Another method is to drive a vehicle into the gas pump. If you’re lucky, it should explode immediately. Gas stations usually have cars nearby, so this is probably the fastest way to complete the challenge. Where to find gas pumps in Fortnite There are several gas pumps to be found across The Island in Fortnite, so it shouldn’t take you too long to complete this mission as long as you know where to look. Fortunately, we’ve marked the handy map above with the locations of several gas stations you can visit that have gas pumps out the front. You’ll only need to do this once, so pick your favorite place and head there. Read More: How to unlock Predator skin in Fortnite – As with any other weekly challenge, there will probably be several players trying to complete these quests alongside you. Fortunately, as there are many locations you could visit for this challenge, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Still, it’s probably best to land directly outside a gas station after leaving the Battle Bus, and then destroy the gas pump before your opponents can. If you’re looking to earn more XP to complete your Battle Pass before Season 5 comes to a close on March 16, 2021, make sure you check out our complete guide to the Week 8 challenges in Fortnite.

This wasn’t the only list to have been discovered by leakers, either, as a fresh set of Hide and Seek tasks have also been revealed. Let’s forget about those for a moment, though, as you’re obviously here to see the brand new mission and what it has in store for Week 5 of Season 1. The full list can be found below. In Week 5, you’re going to need to find the letter ‘N’. We’ve already put together some simple instructions on where to find it as well, which can be found in our helpful Fortnite hidden ‘N’ location guide. • Fortnite Week 6: Where to dance in Front of Bat Statue, Pool and Giant Seat – Dexerto

Fortnite Week 6: Where to dance in Front of Bat Statue, Pool and Giant Seat Epic GamesFortnite players will have to scour the far reaches of the map to dance in front of the bat statue, way above-ground pool, and seat for giants for a Week 6 challenge. If you’ve been playing Fortnite since the weekly challenges came out, you’re definitely used to having to find certain spots on the map and visiting them. This latest challenge asks players to head to a bat statue, above-ground pool and a seat for giants – but don’t worry because we have you covered. Make sure you remember to dance. Where to find the “bat statue” Our first stop will take us the bat statue which can be found in the northwestern part of Haunted Hills. Read More: Fortnite Darkfire bundle revealed – It’s pretty hard to miss since it’s just a giant bat statue but in case you’re having trouble, we’ve included a screenshot of it below. Where to find the “way above-ground pool” This one’s actually pretty easy to find if you think hard enough about the name. It’s referring to an empty pool found on the floating Loot Lake island near Polar Peak of course. Just land on or go to the island and you’ll be all set. Where to find “a seat for giants” This one is really easy to knock out, especially if you’re landing on the floating island. Once you visit the pool, just drop down to directly underneath the island and you’ll see the chair that’s clearly made for giants. It’s nearly impossible to miss as it’s just a giant wooden chair. There you have it, that’s all there is to this challenge. The hardest parts of all these are tracking down the locations but once you know where to go, it’s a cakewalk.

  • Fortnite Week 3 challenge: Where to land at Hydro 16 & Logjam Woodworks – Dexerto

Fortnite Week 3 challenge: Where to land at Hydro 16 & Logjam Woodworks Epic GamesFortnite’s Season 2, Week 3 challenges are finally here in the form of the TNTina’s Trials challenge set, with players tasked with landing at The Rig, Hydro 16, and Logjam Woodworks. With the release of Fortnite Season 2, five new locations appeared across the game’s island, with The Rig sprouting up in the ocean in the bottom-left corner of the map, with The Shark, The Grotto, The Agency, and The Yacht all joining it as part of the update. Players will need to visit the oil rig to complete one-third of this challenge, but unfortunately, neither Hydro 16 or Logjam Woodworks are marked on the map, making this challenge significantly more difficult than some may have first thought. Thankfully, if you don’t know the Fortnite Season 2 map like the back of your hand just yet, and are struggling to locate this two areas, we’ve done all the legwork and found them for you, meaning you can tick them off the list as you land in matches and move one step closer to earning that massive XP reward. First off, Logjam Woodworks isn’t too far away from The Rig, sitting in the south-west corner of the map as well, directly west of Weeping Woods. The building is tough to miss with a massive red roof, and a sign above it, plus plenty of trucks parked outside with logs of timber on the back. Hydro 16 is slightly more tricky but still easy to find, as it sits directly in between Slurpy Swamp and Misty Meadows. The massive dam acts as a bridge directly east of the swamp, so simply follow the murky brown water flowing towards Lazy Lake and you will reach it, or follow the roads out of the previously mentioned name locations and you’re likely to spot it as you fly through the air. If you’re still finding it difficult to figure out where they are, we’ve marked both locations on the map below. Remember, you need to land directly at these locations, not just visit them, so even if you were to drop at The Rig and then visit the other two spots, you would not complete this challenge. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to do so in Team Rumble, as every time you respawn you can hit another one of the locations, and finish it in a single match.

  • Fortnite week 5 and 6 loading screens leaked for Season 8 Discovery Challenges – Dexerto

Fortnite week 5 and 6 loading screens leaked for Season 8 Discovery Challenges Two more loading screens for Fortnite Season 8, Week 5 and Week 6, have been uncovered by data miners following the v8.20 patch, and will be very useful for those aiming to complete the Discovery Challenges. There’s been plenty said about the new update, v8.20, with a number of changes made in Season 7 like health and shield for eliminations, material cap and harvesting rate, all reversed. This has caused a stir in the community, taking some of the attention away from the new items added in such as the Poison Trap and Foraged items. The data miners certainly haven’t been distracted though, and as usual with every new update, have done some digging to uncover the loading screens unlocked for Week 5 and 6, through the Discovery Challenges. You will unlock these loading screens (courtesy of @lucas7yoshi_) after completing all of the seven weekly challenges, with the Week 5 ones set to go live on Thursday, March 28. The Week 5 loading screen also shows a character wielding some kind of bow – which is expected to be added to Fortnite soon. More importantly, these loading screens include the clues needed to find the hidden battle star on the map, which will also be available after completing all seven weekly challenges. Both loading screens for week 5 and 6 are pretty dark, which is uncommon in Fortnite, so perhaps Season 8 is set to take a more sinister turn, with the Volcano still threatening impending doom. Once the Week 5 challenges are available, we will have a full guide on how to complete them, and the location of the hidden battle pass star or banner.

If you want to get in on the Animal Crossing hype, you can prioritize catching a fish. If you want to drop some “BM” on a computer, you can prioritize dancing on the corpse of a henchman. Or, if you want to feel like Nicolas Cage in , you can go after the golden pipe wrenches first. As always, this set of objectives is expected to go live on Thursday, April 23, so it’s not too early to start preparing for them!

  • Fortnite Week 10 challenge: Where to dance on Apres Ski’s dance floor – Dexerto

Fortnite Week 10 challenge: Where to dance on Apres Ski’s dance floor Epic Games[jwplayer Puy4UiEa]Fortnite Week 10 of Season 3 has officially arrived, and that means the final week of regular challenges have arrived, with the trickiest of the tasks asking players to bust a move on the Apres Ski dance floor. Fortnite’s Season 3 has been rumbling on, and while there was no new update this week, that doesn’t mean there isn’t some fresh content for players to sink their teeth into. Epic Games have released the final set of weekly challenges to the game on Thursday, August 20. Much like previous weeks, the Season 3 Week 10 challenges are fairly straightforward, but perhaps the one that may cause you some issues is the task which asks you to dance on the Apres Ski dance floor. While this may sound easy, the difficult part is that Apres Ski isn’t actually marked on the map as a named location, so you may struggle to find it. The good news is if you’re having a tough time, we’ve got a full guide to get you there so you can bust a move and earn some XP. Apres Ski dance floor location in Fortnite While the location isn’t actually marked on your map, it’s likely a place you’ve visited lots of times if you’ve played throughout Fortnite Chapter 2. Perched high on top of a hill in the south of the island is a massive wooden lodge, just west of Misty Meadows. To complete this challenge, all you need to do is arrive at this building, enter the lodge, and make your way to the massive colored dance floor to the right of the entrance. Once you find yourself on it, perform one of the dances on your emote wheel, and you should get a message telling you that you’ve finished the task. If you’re still struggling to find it though, we’ve marked it on the map below so you can make your way there the next time you jump out of the Battle Bus. Completing this challenge is well worth the effort if you’re hoping to reach Tier 100 and complete your Battle Pass before the end of Season 3, as this task offers a massive 35,000 XP reward to those who hit the dancefloor. The Fortnite Season 3 Week 10 challenges go live on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on August 20, so jump into the action and earn some sweet XP rewards.

  • Fortnite: Weapon wrap concept would change color based on weapon rarity and have special effects for high kill games – Dexerto

Fortnite: Weapon wrap concept would change color based on weapon rarity and have special effects for high kill games Reddit is one of the best places online to find cool and interesting concept work for Fortnite Battle Royale, one of which has caught the attention of many users. Reddit user ‘nhojcs’ has come up with a unique concept idea involving the new weapon wraps that have been added in the new Season 7 of Fortnite. Weapon wraps are essentially cosmetic skins that players earn through the Battle Pass and can select in their inventory so that when they pick up any weapon in-game, the wrap will apply to the weapon and change the way the outside of it looks. While there are a variety of weapon wraps already in Fortnite, this concept is unique in that it would change the color of the weapon to its rarity, essentially making it look like it would if it were just lying on the ground. This way, Common weapons would have a gray color, Uncommon would be green, Rare would be blue, Epic would be purple, and Legendary would be gold. While the concept ends there, it can actually be taken even a step further by adding a reactive effect to the wrap, very similar to how reactive camos work in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. In essence, a glow effect could appear on the weapon wrap as soon as a player reaches a certain number of kills with it in a match, and start growing brighter and brighter the more kills they get. Not only would this idea look cool for the player who is using the weapon, it also would be an awesome and easy way for teammates and spectators to know just how well you’re doing at any given time with each weapon. That being said, the Reddit user’s concept and the glow effect can both be counterproductive the players because enemies will not want to engage in a gunfight with someone carrying a higher rarity variant of a strong weapon, especially if the strong glow on it suggests that the player is on a streak.

  • Fortnite weapon causes debate on whether it exists to make players “suffer” – Dexerto

Fortnite weapon causes debate on whether it exists to make players “suffer” This one particular weapon in Fortnite has left the community divided on whether or not it’s viable in the current season. It’s not Fortnite without rotating weapons and items throughout the chapter and season. Knowing how a weapon won’t stay forever can truly push players to enjoy it while it’s still around. That said, out of all the weapons in the current season, the Hammer Pump Shotgun is one that’s leaving the community split regarding its viability. In a Reddit thread titled “Why is this thing still in the game?”, some players are convinced it’s “worthless” and only around “to make you suffer.” Following this take, one user commented: “I wonder that, too, literally outclassed by a built-in double pump shotgun.” “It’s good for headshots if you’re confident. Genuinely, that’s it… I’ve lost so many fights because of misplacing my confidence with this thing,” mentioned another. Another user begged Epic to buff the damage of this weapon, saying they “really, really wish it was good” because “we haven’t had a good pump meta since OG.” However, despite some players slamming this shotgun, a portion of the comments argued that it’s still a powerful weapon when used right. “This shotgun is god tier and I’m sick of pretending it’s not. Legit my favorite shotgun in the game, and people never see a 120+ damage body shot coming until they’ve taken it to the chest or face,” commented one user. Meanwhile, another claimed that it “really suits” their playstyle of quickly peeking, dealing high damage, and using the SMG to finish the enemy off. At the same time, others mentioned that while this may not be great in Zero Build, you can safely get an advantage with Build mode by popping a shot after editing a window before finishing them off with an SMG or going back to editing. With Fortnite known to roll out hotfixes, there’s always a chance the weapons in the game may receive tweaks and balance changes.

  • Fortnite players annoyed after finding “frustrating” weapon mods on random loot – Dexerto

Fortnite players annoyed after finding “frustrating” weapon mods on random loot Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 added weapon mods, but players are already frustrated by modifications appearing on random loot. Epic Games amped up the customization possibilities with Chapter 5’s newly introduced weapon mods. Each mod can buff a gun in one way or another, with magazine attachments, scopes, barrels, and more. Since all weapons – barring those of the Common variety – now feature auto-equipped attachments, players have no shortage of customized guns from which to choose. Users can also modify guns to their preferred specifications by visiting various Weapon Mod Benches strewn about the Island. While some Fortnite faithful welcome the change, others have quickly grown frustrated. Apparently, weapon mods on random loot items are messing up the flow in many respects. Fortnite players call weapon mods on randomized loot a “pain” Fortnite player and Redditor DonAsiago kickstarted an interesting conversation with a thread featuring the following caption: “Not really happy with the guns having random modifications.” The user went on to say that random weapon mods disrupt their flow. When looting an AR pre-Season 1, they knew exactly what they were getting, now it’s a toss-up as the rifle may come with iron sights or a needless sniper optic. “This just adds unnecessary complexity to what was kinda clear cut,” they continued, adding that now the game feels more Call of Duty-esque. Others in the thread had no problem agreeing with the original poster. One user said the scope mods, in particular, have given them headaches. “The scope mods mess me up. I need to be able to consistently rely on what my sights will look like.” Someone else pointed out how glancing at a weapon is no longer viable when it comes to looting. “Once I get a kill, it’s such a pain to look at each of the guns they dropped individually and decide the best attachments, when before I could quickly pick up the higher rarity gun and move on,” they said. Another Fortnite player claimed the addition of weapon mods reminds them of why they typically avoid the likes of Apex Legends or Warzone. “This is why I played Fortnite over Apex or Warzone. I found the looting to be very confusing in other games, and simple in Fortnite.” Not everyone is upset with the changes, though. A few Redditors in the thread say they’re enjoying how weapon mods encourage them to play differently each match. It’ll be interesting to see how players feel about the modifications in the weeks and months ahead.

  • Fortnite WC Champ Bugha explains how his dad helped kickstart his career – Dexerto

Fortnite WC Champ Bugha explains how his dad helped kickstart his career Epic GamesWorld Cup Solos champion Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf is the best Fortnite player in his family, but he explains how it was his dad who got him to try the game in the first place. Bugha became a household name after the Fortnite World Cup, a competition where he flat out dominated the whole way and came away with $3 million as a result. Going into the final game of the tournament, it was pretty clear he was going to come away with the win, and his life was going to change forever. In a documentary released by Epic Games, he explained that it was his dad who first got him into Fortnite. “My dad played video games for like his entire life,” he said. “He first introduced to the game because he played Save the World, but I kinda found the Battle Royale, so I started playing that with some of my friends and eventually got to competing.” Save the World is the PvE portion of Fortnite and is completely separate from the Battle Royale mode. There was no way for his dad to know that by introducing Bugha to Fortnite, he would reach the pinnacle of the game just two years later. The World Cup was his first-ever local tournament, and his parents remained supportive of him all the way through. “We were so nervous that we wanted to just get straight to our seats,” his mom said. “So, we just made a beeline. When we walked in, we were just like ‘Wow.’ You can’t even like imagine your son would be part of this amazing production.” Amusingly, his parents didn’t even think him winning the whole thing would be a possibility, but they were quickly proven wrong. When the tournament was underway, he let his play do all of the talking for him. He went to his usual drop spot, Lucky Landing, and eventually finished that first match off with nine eliminations and a victory. He followed up the first-place finish in the initial match and laid an egg in the next, earning no points. His dad said he noticed that as a turning point. “I was watching him and I know that he knew what he did was wrong and he just sat there at first, then I saw a seriousness get on his face,” his dad said. “And then I said ‘I think he’s going to be good now.’” Through four games, he was still firmly in first place, despite a 90th place finish in the second game. Going into the final match, Bugha explained his mindset. “The sound around me kinda just evaporated and let me get into the zone,” he said. Before the match began, his parents were moved closer to the Winner’s Circle, indicating he was on the verge of coming out on top. When it was all said and done, Bugha was the champion, but who knows if we would be there at all if it weren’t for his mom and dad.

  • How to get the War Bus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto

How to get the War Bus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Epic GamesThe War Bus is officially live in Fortnite courtesy of the Chapter 5 Season 3 update. Here’s how to hijack one in-game. A drivable Armored Battle Bus previously joined Fortnite in Chapter 3, spawning in with lethal tools like a Cow Catcher and Anti-Vehicle Turret. Chapter 5’s third season has reintroduced it as a War Bus, of which there are two on the massive Island during any given match. Players who stake their claim on the armored ride will have little trouble dominating the battlefield, especially given the bus’ rigged weapons. Where to find the War Bus Because new NPCs called Patrollers constantly drive the War Bus around the map, it’ll never remain in a single location. Players hoping to take one over must track them down as a result. But this should prove a simple task since Fortnite’s War Bus will appear on the map as a gold icon. The map will also display a couple of other gold icons to identify Boss NPCs. These icons will never leave their designated posts during a match, so ignore them when looking for the War Bus. How to hijack the War Bus Taking control of the War Bus won’t always be a walk in the park. For one, the Patrollers will stop at nothing to protect their vehicles, though taking them down shouldn’t prove too much of a hassle. In addition, players may find themselves having to face off against a Boss NPC in a souped-up car riding ahead of the bus. These foes can be tough to manage in one-on-one skirmishes, so having the best weapons at the ready is ideal. However, it’s also possible to avoid the Boss in these scenarios by making a run for the War Bus when they’re reloading or strafing around the area. From there, hijacking the bus is as easy as approaching the door and entering it just as one would any other Fortnite vehicle.
