  • Fortnite to Re-Release Rare ‘Red Knight’ Skin in Item Shop and People are Angry – Dexerto

Fortnite to Re-Release Rare ‘Red Knight’ Skin in Item Shop and People are Angry It appears that one of the rarest skins in Fortnite: Battle Royale is making a return to the in-game Item Shop. Epic Games has announced that the ‘Red Knight’ outfit will be re-released as a purchasable item when the shop resets on July 5th. The announcement came via a post on the Fortnite Twitter page on July 4th. Coming to the Item Shop…tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/7LHg80sTKQ — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) July 4, 2018 Also visible in the image above is what appears to be the leaked ‘Crimson Axe’ pickaxe, which will presumably go on sale alongside the Red Knight on July 5th. Since its initial release in late December, the Red Knight has been featured in the Item Shop only a handful of times, the latest being on February 20th. The skin is often referred to as the female version of the Black Knight, which was the final skin unlocked in the Season 2 Battle Pass. However, contrary to common belief, the Red Knight is not a Season 2 exclusive like the other skins of the Fort Knight set from that season, and there had been rumors that it would return to the Item Shop eventually. Since its last release, the skin has become quite a rare collectible, especially among those who pride themselves on their vast cosmetic item collections. So rare in fact, that many have paid hundreds of dollars to illegally purchase accounts containing the Red Knight and other rare in-game items. Thus, this latest announcement has drawn the ire of many players who either bought an account or took pride in owning the rare skin, prompting them to fill the comments section of Fortnite’s tweet with expressions of anger and displeasure. Read More: Ten Ideas To Improve Playground LTM in Fortnite – Aim Assist on Console, Increased Time Limit, and More! – However, as Team SoloMid’s Fortnite team captain ‘Myth’ alluded to on his stream, the Red Knight was bound to return to the Item Shop at some point, especially since Epic Games had confirmed it to not be a Season 2 exclusive skin. Although Epic have not mentioned anything, their decision to re-release the Red Knight could be part of their plan to limit illegal account selling, which has certainly been one of the biggest challenges they have faced to date.

  • Fortnite: Top five most overpowered weapons and items to ever be added – Dexerto

Fortnite: Top five most overpowered weapons and items to ever be added Just as in most video games, Fortnite Battle Royale has had its fair share of weapons and items that may have been a tad bit too overpowered. Since its release in September of 2017, Fortnite has seen its pool of weapons, items, and vehicles grow and change at a steady rate. Once what was a simple game has turned into a complex collection of the most eccentric content, some of which has not been positively received by the community. It’s hard to blame the developers, however, since it’s their job to add these weapons and items in order to test them out at a larger scale. All that being said, we’ve decided to take a stroll down memory lane and look back at some of the most overpowered weapons and items that have made an appearance in Fortnite. Naturally, many of these overpowered items have been vaulted and no longer exist in the main default modes of the battle royale, although some of them are still available in the sandbox mode known as Playground. #5 – Jetpack After its initial announcement, it took Epic Games a very long time to add the Jetpack into Fortnite. Ironically, the item lasted about half that time before being vaulted. The item allows players to whiz around in the sky and it turned even the most straightforward gunfights into a nightmare. It’s hard to find anyone who enjoyed having jetpacks in Fortnite. #4 – Drum Gun The AR/SMG hybrid monster that is the Drum Gun is arguably the second most overpowered non-explosive weapon that’s ever been in Fortnite (see below for #1). Introduced in Season 4, the Drum Gun quickly became the replacement weapon for the nerfed Double Pump meta, as its ability to tear through structures and players was unparalleled during the time it was in the game. #3 – Mounted Turret The only item in this list not to have been vaulted (yet), the Mounted Turret has quickly established itself as one of the most overpowered items in the game’s history, despite having just been added within the last two weeks. It’s extremely powerful in its damage and rate of fire, and the fact that players can carry and use multiple turrets to avoid the cooldown period makes it even more OP. Since its release, Epic have nerfed it THREE times, and it still proves to be a nuisance for virtually everyone who comes across it. #2 – Guided Missile Launcher Explosives can be a powerful tool in Fortnite, but none has ever been more powerful than the Guided Missile Launcher. The original version of the Guided Missile allowed players to remotely direct lethal rockets at enemy players and teams, all while sitting comfortably behind cover without having to worry about getting shot back. The item was removed from the game a month after release, nerfed, and brought back, only to still be too overpowered and was subsequently vaulted again. Honorable Mentions Before we get to the number one most overpowered weapon, there are a few items that did not make the list but were overpowered enough to still be mentioned. This list includes the original Boogie Bomb pre-nerf, Remote Explosives (C4), the brand new Dynamite, and Double Pump meta (pre-patch). #1 – Zapatron Yes, an item that probably 99% of the Fortnite player-base has never heard of is the most overpowered weapon in the game’s history. The Zapatron was a sniper rifle that shot electric blasts instead of bullets, and it was powerful enough to eliminate multiple players with a single shot at extremely long distances. Here is the official in-game description of the item from the v1.63 patch notes: The Zapotron can be used to fire electric blasts in short bursts, or charged up to release an enormous amount of damage! Fire sparingly, as Cell Ammo is extremely limited. This weapon is only available in Supply Drops. This weapon was so OP that Epic removed it from the game on October 5, 2017, less than two weeks after the first version of the game was released. We have disabled the Zapatron. We feel like it doesn’t fit well in the current state of Battle Royale. This is something we may revisit. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 5, 2017

  • Fortnite one of 14 games to include Xbox One mouse and keyboard support – Dexerto

Fortnite one of 14 games to include Xbox One mouse and keyboard support Fortnite players on Xbox One will be able to use the input of their choice very soon, as the game announced that it will support native keyboard and mouse input on the console. Native keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox One was first introduced in September 2018, and now more and more games are moving to utilize the tool – including Fortnite. This means Fortnite players on the Xbox One will be able to purchase a keyboard and mouse and use it as the primary input while playing the game, without any need for the controller. PlayStation 4 users don’t have this option yet, although can use a simulated method for Fortnite on PS4, or alternatively buy third-party hardware to enable the use of mouse and keyboard. Xbox’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb revealed that Fortnite would be on of fourteen new games to get on board with the native keyboard and mouse support, starting November 14. The other games supporting in November will be Bomber Crew, Strange Brigade, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, War Thunder, X-Morph: Defense, and Deep Rock Galactic. Later, Children of Morta, Vigor, Warface, Wargroove, DayZ, Minion Masters, and Moonlighter will also all support native keyboard and mouse on Xbox. Fourteen titles have announced they plan to have Xbox keyboard+mouse support including @FortniteGame, landing later this week. — Larry Hryb @ X018 (@majornelson) November 10, 2018 Thankfully, if you are worried about matching up against keyboard and mouse players in regular Xbox lobbies, it has been confirmed that they will be put in separate playlists, not up against controller players. To show how seriously they are taking keyboard and mouse support, Xbox have also teamed up with Razer to release a wireless keyboard and mouse, compatible with the console. There will be increased calls from PlayStation 4 players now to have similar support on the rival console, following Xbox’s announcement. Meanwhile, Xbox players who don’t won’t the hassle of trying to edit builds quickly and other downsides of using controllers on Fortnite, now have a viable alternative option to switch to keyboard and mouse, without having to purchase a whole PC setup.

  • Fortnite to Launch on Android in August – But Will Be Exclusive to One Phone Model, According to Reports – Dexerto

Fortnite to Launch on Android in August – But Will Be Exclusive to One Phone Model, According to Reports Two independent reports claim that Fortnite Battle Royale will launch on Android as soon as August, but there is a major catch – only one phone model will be able to play it initially. As the most popular game in the world, Fortnite’s release on Android was inevitable, and Epic Games confirmed earlier in 2018 that it is coming this summer. Since then however, it has gone pretty silent, and while there have been plenty of rumors, nothing official or concrete has ever come out about an Android version of the battle royale game. But, new reports from 9to5Google and XDA Developers have released information from anonymous sources, that say Fortnite will be announced for Android on August 9 – but will be exclusive to the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for 30 days. More: Competitive Solo Showdown LTM is Returning Soon in Fortnite – Format, Rules, Prizes, and More! – Citing trusted sources, both reports state that the Android release will be tied in with Samsung’s next major phone launch, which is set for release on August 24, with pre-orders starting on August 14. “The launch of Fortnite on Android is going to come as a special promotion alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which is set to be announced in just a couple weeks, our source says. Logic would suggest, then, that the game’s Play Store listing should pop up around the same time the Note 9 becomes publicly available.” XDA Developers’ source also tells them that Epic and Samsung are hoping to get Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, the top Fortnite streamer on board to promote the launch, possibly at Samsung Unpacked 2018. Both reports came out separate to one another, and report the same information, making this Epic-Samsung deal more likely. 9to5Google also reports that users who get the Galaxy Note 9 for Fortnite exclusivity will receive a massive V-Bucks haul too, worth $100-$150. If the sources are correct, the phone will launch with Fortnite exclusivity on August 24 lasting for 30 days, which means other Android phone users can expect it in late September.

  • All Fortnite TMNT Mythic vending machine locations – Dexerto

All Fortnite TMNT Mythic vending machine locations Epic GamesThe Fortnite x TMNT event introduced Turtle-themed vending machines housing Mythic weapons and pizza. Here’s where to find them. It’s Turtle Time, thanks to Fortnite’s latest event starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The themed event, titled Cowabunga, went live on Friday, February 9, allowing players to unlock a new Shredder skin, as well as the primary weapons of the Turtles. Notably, the weapons include Leonardo’s Katanas, Michelangelo’s Nunchaku, Raphael’s Sais, and the Staff belonging to Donatello. Players can access each weapon via supply drops or vending machines. The supply drops, which typically surface near a match’s end, will rain down with a balloon shaped like one of the turtles’ faces. But those who want access to the special weapons earlier can do so by tracking down one of six vending machines strewn across the map. Where to find Fortnite’s TMNT-branded vending machines Every one of the themed vending machines carries a single Mythic weapon that spawns at random. As such, there are no guarantees that players will purchase the TMNT weapon (for 300 Gold Bars apiece) of their choice. Still, it’s a worthwhile investment, especially since these machines also allow for pizza purchases. The Fortnite map plays host to six different dispensers located in the following areas: Classy Courts, Grand Glacier, Hazy Hillside, Pleasant Piazza, Rebel’s Roost, and Ritzy Riviera. A map highlighting each of these locales features below: It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that players may also unlock TMNT’s Mythic weapons by opening chests. Because of each item’s Mythic status, however, the odds of getting this lucky seem rather low. Those interested in giving the weapons a try shouldn’t delay their efforts; Cowabunga will end later this month on Tuesday, February 27. • Fortnite To Be Enhanced for PS4 Pro On 4K TVs – Dexerto

Fortnite To Be Enhanced for PS4 Pro On 4K TVs If you ever dreamed of playing Fortnite in 4K resolution, you could be getting your wish soon, as Epic Games reveals plans to enhance the battle royale game for PS4 Pro. The PlayStation 4 Pro supports native 4K resolutions as well as HDR (high-dynamic range), which is utilised by a handful of games, and Fortnite could be next. In the most recent State of Development update, Epic Games addressed a number of performance improvements they are hoping to make across platforms, but gave a special mention to the PS4 Pro. Currently, both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro display Fortnite in the default 1080p, and maintains a smooth 60fps almost always. However, it is perhaps not using the full power of the Pro console Epic didn’t specifically say that it would reach native 4K, or even upscaling to 4K, only that it would be “greater than 1080p res when connected to a 4K TV.” They also don’t state specifically when this improvement will be coming, but that it will be in the near future, so perhaps players can expect it around the time of the Season 6 launch, expected in late September. “For those of you playing Fortnite on a PS4 Pro, in the near future we’re adding support for greater than 1080p res when connected to a 4K TV. Plan out that next drop with even more clarity!” Microsoft’s Xbox One X console, their rival to Sony’s Pro, also supports 4K resolution, but the State of Development update made no mention of improvements coming to the Xbox version. Fortnite uses a system called ‘dynamic resolution’ to ensure a good frame rate, meaning that when action in-game gets busy, it will drop the res to keep the frames steady. So although it may be able to hit 4K at some points on PS4 Pro, it may not be steady at 4K at all times. In addition to the improved resolution, Epic also rolled out a fix to ‘screen hitching’, which was mainly affecting Xbox users, in the v5.30 update. You can read the full State of Development update from Epic Games here.

  • Fortnite x TMNT leak reveals the collab will launch earlier than expected – Dexerto

Fortnite x TMNT leak reveals the collab will launch earlier than expected Paramount PicturesAccording to a new leak, the Fortnite x TMNT collab will hit the Item Shop several days earlier than expected. Fortnite’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover leaked several months ago when dataminers uncovered file names that hinted at a Turtles collab. A few days ago, even more proof hit the web following the release of Fortnite’s 28.01 patch. Leakers poured over the files and found images of all four Turtles in the Item Shop. There wasn’t much to go on, but dates listed in the API suggested players would be able to suit up as Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael on December 20. However, another leak now points to the heroes joining Fortnite a week earlier than many assumed. Fortnite’s TMNT collab may arrive sooner than fans think According to trusted leaker SpushFNBR (via ShiinaBR), Fortnite’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle content will become available in the Item Shop on the evening of December 14. In addition to Battle Royale, these new skins should also function across the recently released LEGO, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival modes. While Epic Games has yet to formally announce the Fortnite x TMNT collab, the content’s arrival could be imminent if the above information proves true. With that in mind, an official reveal should surface sooner rather than later. The seemingly imminent TMNT crossover will help cap off a big year for Fortnite. Prior to the launch of the aforementioned modes, the title had already eclipsed fan expectations with Season OG. Most notably, this brief period allowed players to once more explore the original Chapter 1 Island. It’ll be interesting to see how the Fortnite crew at Epic Games plans to outdo itself in the new year.

  • Fortnite TikToker gets attacked by whole lobby after unveiling fake Axe of Champions – Dexerto

Fortnite TikToker gets attacked by whole lobby after unveiling fake Axe of Champions A TikTok of a Fortnite player has gone viral after they were attacked in the game’s lobby for showing off the highly coveted Axe of Champions. Some cosmetic items in Fortnite hold ridiculous value in the eyes of players. So much so that some players are willing to break Fortnite’s TOS and pay ridiculous amounts of money for accounts with rare skins. Having these cosmetic items is a badge of honor. As seen in a recent viral Fortnite TikTok, entire lobbies of players will go nuts over the rarest cosmetics. Renegade Raider, Reaper, and most cosmetics from early Chapter 1 are the most popular rare items. However, one player recently received the rarest pickaxe in Fortnite by accident which led to utter chaos. TikToker receives Fortnite Axe of Champions by accident For those who aren’t familiar, the Axe of Champions is one of Fortnite’s rarest and most exclusive cosmetic items. That’s because only 21 of these axes exist. At least, that was the case until Fortnite accidentally gave this axe to hundreds of players, meaning there’s 21 authentic items and a whole lot of fakes. TikTok user Spacyss was one of these lucky players that received a fake Axe of Champions. The axe is given to the 21 winners of the Fortnite Champion Series, and Spacyss was not one of them. But thanks to a goof of Fortnite’s end, all of the Grand Royale qualifiers were given the axe for a brief period. The video below is what unfolded once Spacyss realized they had the axe. As anyone else would, they equipped it and showed it off in the Fortnite lobby. And it didn’t take long for the entire lobby to swarm the player, thinking they were a champion! Spacyss ended the video by stating how ugly the axe is and asking if they should refund it. While you can’t refund the Axe of Champions, they likely don’t have it in their inventory anymore. A large portion of the Fortnite community is obsessed with rare cosmetics, so it’s no wonder this TikTok exploded. • Fortnite: Tips for succeeding in kill incentive tournaments – Dexerto

Fortnite: Tips for succeeding in kill incentive tournaments Fortnite’s Winter Royale is underway, and the point system that rewards players for kills completely changes how the game is played. In tournaments and events, a new dimension to Fortnite is introduced that give rewards both inside and out of the game which demand new strategies and methods of playing. YouTuber ‘BallaTW’ went in-depth with this new, more aggressive Fortnite meta and gave viewers some helpful strategies on how to play Fortnite in a mode where securing kills reigns supreme. One tactic he highlights is a hyper-aggressive approach to Fortnite that puts you in “high loot, low material” drop spot located in a high altitude, such as Viking Village. After looting, he suggest immediately looking to engage in a fight. The loot and materials gained from the firefight even out the dry-start in this strategy, but also gives you an early start in terms of tournament points after securing the kills. BallaTW also talks about “gatekeeping,” which is when a player bunkers down and oversees a side of the map to incite fights, get a pick or force players to use their mats. In endgame scenarios where the fights are congested, it’s important to stay patient. He runs through scenarios where pro players intentionally box themselves in hectic firefights waiting for their opponent to make a move. Small advantages will present themselves if players keep their weapons loaded, prioritize gathering info on where other players are, and always peek with the right side of the third-person screen. In this respect, playing at high altitudes near the storm will minimize the the mats needed to stay safe, while giving room for more mobility away from lower levels that should be filled with players. Making plays in kill incentive game modes will get players much needed points, but adapting competitive-based strats into crucial points in the early- and late-game will let players climb higher in the ladder.

  • Fortnite TikTok goes viral for mispronunciation of Dragon Ball’s iconic Kamehameha – Dexerto

Fortnite TikTok goes viral for mispronunciation of Dragon Ball’s iconic Kamehameha Epic GamesThe recent Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaboration took the internet by storm, with many content creators swarming to the battle royal to catch the viral wave. One TikToker mispronounced Dragon Ball’s Kamehameha, causing the fandom to pounce — playing right into his trap. Goku, Beerus, and Vegeta have jumped onto the island in the recent Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover. On top of these characters, players have access to the iconic Kamehameha as a weapon, which charges and shoots out an energy wave dealing massive damage. However, some people are really showing their age with their pronunciation of the move. In a recent TikTok reel, content creator ‘Dagwummy’ shared some gameplay tips regarding the Kamehameha. But while doing so, mispronounces the move horrendously. “So we all know the Kamehameha is overpowered,” the content creator states. But what the viewer hears is something more in the line of ‘Callmeyamama’. Reddit users were quick to mock the content creator for his lack of knowledge on the series, calling Dagwummy a “zoomer”. The clip became viral. But viewers quickly realize the mispronunciation was actually strategic, with previous videos from the content creator pronouncing the move correctly. Dagwummy goes on to address the troll, where he believed his pronunciation was an obvious ‘yo mama’ joke but was misperceived by the community. It seems Dagwummy has figured out the key to viral fame: Just mispronounce an iconic move, and wait for the community to get incredibly frustrated.

  • Fortnite: This suggestion would be a great way to make llamas more viable – Dexerto

Fortnite: This suggestion would be a great way to make llamas more viable Llamas are sometimes a sore sight in Fortnite because players feel that the risk/reward factor heavily leans against them, however, a suggested update to them might make them more viable. Fortnite has llamas spread across its battlefield. Upon opening one up, a player used to get rewarded with a treasure trove of mats and other useful weapons but nerfs for the party animal has led them to be ignored more often than not. In a post, Reddit user ‘afjaf’ gave his thoughts on some viable changes that could make to the Supply Llamas that would even out the risk/reward factor for seeking out the four-legged cache. For starters, afjaf suggests, the Llamas need to revert back to their original state of providing big material gains of 500 mats of each kind. Right off the bat, the reward for seeking out a Lllama would attract players that want to get an early boost to the game, which leads afjaf to go one step further to increase the risk factor even more. The Reddit user suggests making the Llamas visible on the map from the beginning so that every player can hone in on its location. Further, make it so that the Llamas can only be opened by manually “searching” them while increasing the time to “search” them. Although the user admits the idea probably wouldn’t be great in a competitive setting, the concept could bring back a lot of the chaos that the pinata would attract in the earlier seasons of Fortnite.

  • Fortnite TikTok exposes Spider-Man skin as “pay-to-win” with unfair advantage – Dexerto

Fortnite TikTok exposes Spider-Man skin as “pay-to-win” with unfair advantage Epic GamesSpider-Man has made his debut in Fortnite Chapter 3, but players are already calling for nerfs to this web-slinging cosmetic. Fortnite Chapter 3 has introduced a lot of new content to the game, but one of the most exciting additions is that of Spider-Man. The web-slinger is featured in the new Battle Pass, while the hero’s Mythic web-shooters can be located on the map. While Fortnite fans have praised Chapter 3 for its web-slinging and addition of the new sliding mechanic, it seems that Marvel’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man skin is getting a mixed reception. After all, having paid cosmetic that can give you a clear advantage over your foes is always going to raise a few concerns. Fortnite ‘pay-to-win’ Spider-Man skin The Fortnite Spider-Man skin may not be hard to spot thanks to its iconic blue and red design, but there is another feature that is currently giving players an advantage. Fortnite Creator, nickeh30, demonstrated just how broken this new cosmetic could be when he used the Neighbourly Hang emote. When this emote is activated, Spider-Man can use his web to dangle upsidedown, instantly concealing him from nearby players. Nickeh30 demonstrates just how potent this emote is, when he manages to successfully get the drop on an unsuspecting enemy. As soon as his foe walks through the door, Nickeh30 jump down and begins shooting his startled opponent, landing headshot after headshot. Despite his enemy desperately trying to reset the fight, Nickeh30 managed to claim a quick kill. This isn’t the first time that a Fornite skin has been dubbed ‘pay-to-win’, as there was a major flaw with the customizable superhero skin, which gave players an unfair advantage in Season 4. Whether Epic will change this emote in any way remains to be seen, but for now, you’ll need to be extra vigilant when entering any buildings.

  • Fortnite: This item concept would give players an inventive new way to get shields – Dexerto

Fortnite: This item concept would give players an inventive new way to get shields Epic GamesWith Fortnite getting all kinds of new items lately, fans have decided to remind Epic about a fan-favorite concept for an item that would help teams shield up. Shields are basically a second bar of health in Fortnite, and are essential for players to survive until the final circle. Players can use a Slurp Juice or other shield items to fully refill their shields and health, but there’s no way for a team to recharge their shields together. The concept was originally created by user JeremyRyanMiller, who said they wanted to remind Epic about the awesome idea. The item, called a shield shower, would work like the Cosy Campfire, but would be placed on a ceiling and regenerate shields instead of health. It would grant two shields per second, up to 50 for each player standing underneath it, just like the campfire. Earlier this week on December 30, Epic introduced the new Boombox item the same day as the $100,000 WSOE Fortnite duos tournament, so it’s clear they’re not scared to shake things up a bit. Most of the new items and vehicles added to the game of late have been more offensive-focused, however, leaving plenty of room for Epic to add in some new healing items soon. Epic has said they have big plans in store for 2019, so fans can probably expect to see more new items coming soon.

  • Fortnite: This new Grappler bug is costing players Victory Royales – Dexerto

Fortnite: This new Grappler bug is costing players Victory Royales Fortnite fans have found a new bug with the game’s popular Grappler item which is costing players Victory Royales and leaving them stranded in the storm. The Grappler was officially added to Fortnite in the V5.40 update back in September 2018 and acts like a grappling gun, allowing players to quickly zipline their way around the map or up to an enemy who has the height advantage in a build battle. This has made the Grappler one of the most popular items in the game, but fans have now found a bug that may make them think twice before picking it up. For streamer Nicholas ‘Nick Eh 30’ Amyoony, the discovery couldn’t have come at a worse time, as he attempted to use his Grappler to escape the storm which had overtaken him. In the clip, Amyoony fired off the item on a number of occasions, with the Grappler failing to latch on to the ground in front of him as the edge of the storm continued to move further into the distance. “What the hell is going on,” cried Nick Eh 30, as he watched the glitch in action, “I hate this game so much, but I want to keep playing it.” The streamer eventually dropped the item once he realized that it wasn’t going to work, but found himself too far away from safety, dying just as he was about to jump out of the storm. While Nick’s clip has brought attention to the issue, many members of the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit stated that the bug has been in the game for some time now, with one user saying that they first encountered the issue over three weeks ago. Epic Games have yet to address the problem with the Grappler, but Fortnite fans will be hopeful that the developers will release a fix for the item in the next weekly update.

  • Fortnite: This fan-made map gives a glimpse of what it could look like after the ice melts – Dexerto

Fortnite: This fan-made map gives a glimpse of what it could look like after the ice melts Epic GamesFortnite players have gotten accustomed to radical changes made to the battlefield throughout the year, and one fan has made a hilariously plausible version of the map once the ice melts and winter has gone. Epic Games blanketed Fortnite in a sheet of snow on December 6 to reign in Season 7 and brought along with it extreme changes to the map along with new points of interests (POI), so a creative fan mapped out what they see as the next version of the field. In a post, Reddit user Doomfist_Isnt_Real showed off their idea of an altered version of the game’s map that shows the wreckage of what the snow left behind while modifying various points of interests to match. The biggest change lies in the Southwest corner of the map where the soggy scars of the snow have forever altered the terrain. Notable POI changes include names such as Moisty Mountain where Polar Peak would be, Snowy Shores that take over the current Snobby Shores, and Frosty Flights being battered by the weather and morphed to Soggy Sails. The map also includes the long-speculated return of Kevin the Cube, as the artist included two corrupted zones on opposite sides of the map. New marsh covered areas would be an interesting idea, and the artist suggests that it would also be a great opportunity to introduce jet skis to the game. Read more: Fortnite: Epic Games announce compensation for players who missed out on the final 14 Days of Fortnite reward – Although the artist admittedly included too many POIs, the map’s overall layout and natural evolution from its previous state is a realistic portrayal of how Epic Games likes to mix things up.

  • Fortnite: Third v7.10 content update has been announced – Full details – Dexerto

Fortnite: Third v7.10 content update has been announced – Full details The new work year is underway at Epic Games as employees find their way back to the office, and Fortnite fans have already been given something to look forward to as the last batch of content for v7.10 has been dated. Epic Games have previously released loads of content under v7.10, but it will take a third and final cache of content to finally close out the patch that started on December of 2018. In a twitter reply, Community Coordinator at Epic Games Sean ‘MrPopoTFS’ Hamilton confirmed the release date for the last entry of v7.10 to be January 8, that fans will hope to bring rumored fixes and long-awaited items. The 3rd and final Content Update for v7.10 is on this coming Tuesday. — Sean Hamilton (@MrPopoTFS) January 2, 2019 The new update will also have fans holding their breath to see if Epic Games releases the rumored Machine Pistol that was found in a leak in December. The new weapon has little information to gawk over, but a leaked 3D render of the pistol suggests that the item was well on its way to seeing the light of day. If Epic Games hope to tie up loose ends with the update then players might finally see the Driftboard make its way onto the battlegrounds. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the long-teased Driftboard. The board was first announced on Fortnite’s in-game newsfeed and was supposed to be released December 18, until it was delayed a day before release. • Fortnite: This could be the perfect way to bring insanity for April Fool’s Week – Dexerto

Fortnite: This could be the perfect way to bring insanity for April Fool’s Week Epic GamesFortnite has an impeccable history of adding elements to its game to fit an event, season or celebration, and one idea would hilariously integrate the spirit of April Fool’s Day into the battle royale. Fans of the game are still reeling from the wintertime changes that introduced snow to the map on December 6, but with April Fool’s just a few holidays away, one fan went all out in providing Epic Games numerous ways to take part in the festivities. In a post, Reddit user Natan33988 gave a myriad of concepts that realistically capture the fun and sometimes odd inclusions Fortnite is known to make to its games while being heavily influenced by All Fool’s Day. Natan was open to the changes being an LTM or a part of the main game but suggests that the event be stretched from a day to instead become April Fool’s Week. He laid out 10 ideas, ranging from funny in-game pranks to potentially game-breaking changes to weapons or items. Notable entries is a #2 Choke Royale banner which would be granted to the runner-up of a match, letting them bask in their final flub of a game. Another change would see the infamous Tilted Towers emptied of all its loot, faking out the hordes of people that routinely land there. One change that would be sure to scar many players during the week would be the random disabling of the Glider Redeploy function, as well as the Finding Rigged Guns that would shoot a comical “Bang” flag from its nozzle at random. Fans are sure to look forward to whatever Fortnite has in store for the day, but any of these ideas would definitely make the April Fool’s celebration one to remember.

  • Fortnite’s third Dig Site location finally revealed – Dexerto

Fortnite’s third Dig Site location finally revealed Epic GamesThe newest dig site in Fortnite has been revealed by Epic Games and added into the game, but what secrets lay beneath this one? Where are the Fortnite Dig Sites? During recent Season 8 updates, dig sites, otherwise known as excavation sites have popped up across the Fortnite map. The main site came at Dusty Divot, in the heart of the map, with a number of trucks and diggers parked inside around the central lab area – with a further site appearing in the south-east part of the map. Further locations of the next set of dig sites, were first revealed in a leak on March 28 from popular data miner S1l0x – pointing at not only Dusty Divot receiving a major change, but other other points of interests on the Fortnite map changing too. Where is the newest Dig Site location? Now, the next change in the dig site chronicles has been revealed – and the leaks were right. The new site, which is located just east of Loot Lake, looks somewhat similar to the site that is situated between Fatal Field and the Desert Biome. With the location only just being revealed, it will take some time before players have dug up what lies beneath the new site – just like they have at Dusty Divot and the site in the south-east. Excavation Site #3 has now begun to the east of Loot Lake. pic.twitter.com/ZDbEEt1rvN — Scenario (@iScenario) April 7, 2019 What has been found at these Dig Sites? Plenty of strange clues have already been uncovered at these sites. Fans have already found things like a strangely placed rock with a ton of health at the first site, dinosaur bones, a geyser, and a huge Pirate Anchor underneath Dusty Divot. While no one is yet sure what this all means, it’s quite possible that Epic Games are using these sites to hint at either the game’s next event, map change or a bigger hint at Season 9. It still remains to be seen as to what links all the strange discoveries together, but it shouldn’t be too long before Epic reveals just what they have up their sleeve and we can all stop scratching our heads and being confused about what is happening in front of us.

  • Fortnite: The Trio vs Squad console world record from April has finally been broken – Dexerto

Fortnite: The Trio vs Squad console world record from April has finally been broken It seems that barely a day goes by without another Fortnite world record being smashed, and it’s happened again. This time, a record that had stood since April of 2018 has been broken. On November 5 we reported that the Solo eliminations world record for PC had been broken yet again, this time by a talented Asian player that managed to find a staggering 34 kills in one game. Later that day we received information that the Trio vs Squad world record for console had also been smashed on November 4, and we’ve now got our hands of the video evidence that confirms it. ‘Innocents’, a well known Xbox One player, managed to demolish the previous record with the help of ‘ArtieTheGod’ and ‘iMrSharpShooter’. The trio racked up a staggering 49 kills in total – innocents and Artie picked up 18 eliminations each and MrSharpShooter rounded things out with 13 of his own: The previous recorded record of 43 kills had been set back in April by iSkiiiz, Az0t3 and Xtrem-Zapeur, then equaled in May by Smxthyyyy, Scootchyy and Bigbazza. Unfortunately for innocents, who has almost 10,000 followers on Twitch and over 11,000 subscribers on YouTube, the original video file was corrupted, meaning that his trio’s record breaking game had to be uploaded from the replay mode. Replay mode or not, the gameplay is still incredibly impressive to behold and it’s easy to understand why some of innocents fans believe he is among the best console players on the planet. As always, you can keep track off all the current world records by visiting our hub here. If you believe any of the records are incorrect or out-of-date, message @Dexerto on Twitter with supporting evidence. Videos are preferred.

  • Fortnite theory claims Chapter 5 is actually a remake of Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Fortnite theory claims Chapter 5 is actually a remake of Chapter 2 Epic GamesA Fortnite player has presented a wild theory claiming Chapter 5 is actually a remake of Chapter 2 Season 2. Here’s what they said and how others reacted. Fortnite Chapter 5 has changed the game drastically bringing about several new features like weapon mods, wall climbing, medallions, and so much more. With the season 1 update, Epic has also introduced three new game modes, namely Festival, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite which quickly became extremely popular among players. Now when it comes to Battle Royale and Zero Build, every Fortnite season has a storyline that players follow via quests and in-game events. Similarly, Chapter 5 Season 1 tasks players by helping a faction called the Underground and save Peely from an evil faction known as The Society. While players are battling out bosses and stealing medallions, one such Fortnite player has come up with a theory that claims the current season is an identical remake of Chapter 2 Season 2. Here’s what they said. Fortnite player claims Chapter 5 Season 1 is a remake of Chapter 2 Season 2 A Reddit user named MagiStarIL has posted their theory on the FortniteBR subreddit that talks about how Chapter 5 is a Chapter 2 remake with similar lore. They posted comparative images of characters and factions from Chapter 5 Season 1 Underground and Chapter 2 Season 2 Top Secret, along with a diagram of how time traveling to Season OG has now started an alternate Chapter 2 timeline. One player agreed to this theory and said, “Midas and Montague, Meowscles and Oscar, Brutus and Peter Griffin, Deadpool and Solid Snake, Skye and Valeria, Nisha and TNTina. Both storylines involve Peely, a war between 2 factions and The Society’s logo is gold (although Montague who is the founder is related to diamond).” Another chimed in, “Yeah this definitely seems like what’s being insinuated by a lot of different things. The map is also similar shape-wise to C2. OG/Big Bang are pretty clearly a “soft reset” to the story for the new writers now that Mustard is gone.” A third user added, “If this is true, I hope we get a new Marvel season or any crossover season as an altered version of C2S4 because I didn’t get to play during that season.” As there’s a considerable amount of conversation going around the season, there’s much yet to come in Chapter 5 Season 1 now that Winterfest 2023 is finally over.

  • Fortnite Season 7: The third teaser image has been revealed and it looks like zip lines and planes have been confirmed – Dexerto

Fortnite Season 7: The third teaser image has been revealed and it looks like zip lines and planes have been confirmed The third, and presumably final, teaser image for Season 7 of Fortnite was released by Epic Games on Wednesday, December 5. The release of the second teaser on December 4 showed a female character that seemed to be snowboarding down an icy slope while a much smaller character clinged to the edge of a cliff or zoomed down a zip line. Our assumption was that the third image would zoom in on this smaller character and give us more of an idea of what was happening – an assumption based on the fact that image number two was an enlarged version of the much smaller character that could be seen in the first teaser on December 3. That assumption appears to have been correct, as the third teaser has now been revealed and the tiny character can now be seen more clearly. Read More: When does Fortnite Season 7 begin? Snow theme, leaked skins, vehicles, release time and more v7.0 patch news – The caption for the image is as follows: “Ascend to new heights… Season 7 starts tomorrow!” Our guess about the character being on some sort of zip line has also been confirmed, and we’re pretty sure that it’ll have something to do with the zip line leak from earlier this year. Look close enough, and you can even see a plane, so that leak also looks to have been proven true! If you haven’t seen the second teaser image before, you can find it below. The general consensus within the Fortnite community throughout the latter half of Season 6 was that Season 7 would feature some sort of snow map and winter theme, and all of the teasers so far seem to confirm that assumption. Add to this the fact that a mysterious iceberg has been seen making its way towards the map from the ocean and that snow has started to fall, and we feel pretty safe in saying that we will be having a white Christmas in Fortnite! Season 7 is due to begin on Thursday, December 6, so we should have all of our answers very soon. Don’t be surprised to see more hints beginning to arrive throughout the rest of December 5 as Epic prepare for the grand reveal. • Fortnite ‘The Floor is Lava’ LTM coming soon – Dexerto

Fortnite ‘The Floor is Lava’ LTM coming soon Epic GamesFortnite players will soon be forced to jump and build around molten rock that’s overtaking the island in a new ‘The Floor is Lava’ limited time mode. Epic Games have added a number of LTMs to the battle royale game mode since it was launched in September 2017, but the latest arrival of a volcano in Season 8 will give fans something very different to play in the near future. A new mode called ‘The Floor is Lava’ has been added to the in-game news feed and seems to show players hopping around structures at Tilted Towers to prevent falling in a giant pool of lava that’s rushing through the streets. The graphic featured in the feed was previously leaked by Lucas7yoshi on Reddit, a well-known dataminer who has uncovered many of the game’s upcoming features in the past. The upcoming game mode has now been officially revealed and can be found below. “Get to the high ground or build above the lava that’s overtaking the island,” Epic’s official LTM description reads, suggesting that the lava may spread in a similar way to that of the storm. While full details explaining how this game mode would work haven’t been released, that hasn’t stopped some fans from speculating about the role lava will play in the new LTM. “Will it act like the lava from the volcano?” one redditor asked, while others suggested that they would like to see it deal damage in a similar way to the storm in the game’s battle royale mode. Lava currently deals one notch of damage to a player’s HP every time they land on the molten rock, which can be found in and around the volcano in the northeast side of the map. Read More: Fortnite update v8.20 to address numerous bugs and performance issues – Potential patch notes – In many other video games, such as Minecraft and in a number Nintendo’s Super Mario titles, lava eliminates players much quicker than it does in Fortnite. Will Epic follow suit if this game mode comes to fruition? We’ll have to wait and see. There’s been no official release date confirmed for the LTM at the time of writing.

  • Fortnite: The second Season 7 teaser image has been revealed and it seems to hint at new methods of transport – Dexerto

Fortnite: The second Season 7 teaser image has been revealed and it seems to hint at new methods of transport The second teaser image for Fortnite Season 7 was released on Tuesday, December 4, providing fans with yet another hint about what to expect. The second teaser image was released shortly after word began to spread about snow falling on Spawn Island – an occurrence that finally confirms that Winter is coming! The November 4 teaser shows what looks to be another mysterious character skiing or snowboarding down a snowy slope and comes with the caption: “A frigid day dawns… 2 days to Season 7.” leaks from August actually predicted zip lines being added to the game along with grappling hooks. The larger character, which Epic Games’ Donald Mustard has confirmed is a female skin of some sort, also seems to be the smaller outfit from the first teaser that has now been zoomed in on. If that assumption about zooming in proves to be true, we could potentially find out more about the falling/zip-lining character tomorrow, December 5, when the third teaser image will presumably be revealed. Speculation about what the upcoming season will have in store reached fever pitch on Monday, December 3, when Epic Games finally shared the first teaser image on Twitter. Many players have been predicting some sort of winter or snow theme for the Christmas months, and the first teaser image certainly seemed to support that theory, showing an icy silhouette of what we believe will be the Season 7 tier 100 skin for Battle Pass owners. There have been multiple leaks that also support the idea that the entire map will be engulfed with snow or ice when Season 6 comes to an end and Season 7 begins. There are also a number of in-game hints, like the iceberg on the south coast of the map or the cold breath that can be seen escaping from the lips of characters when you zoom in close enough.

  • Fortnite: The first Season 7 teaser has been released and a snow map looks more likely than ever – Dexerto

Fortnite: The first Season 7 teaser has been released and a snow map looks more likely than ever The first Fortnite Season 7 teaser was released by Epic Games on December 3, confirming the date that it will begin and dropping a massive hint about the theme. Speculation about what Season 7 will look like has been rife within the Fortnite community for a number of weeks, but the prevailing theory has been that ice or snow will be a major factor. That theory appears to have been proven once and for all after the December 3 Twitter post that shows some form of icy river structure that also seems to form a face with a crown! The caption that comes with the image simply says: “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.” A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7. pic.twitter.com/yj70svBXti — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 3, 2018 We’re guessing that the entire Fortnite map will be covered in ice and snow once Season 7 begins, but Epic Games always have a surprise up their sleeve so we’re not putting any money down just yet. Some fans believed the release date for the new season fit in well with a special Epic Games announcement set to take place on Thursday, December 6, at the Game Awards, but Epic Games’ Nick Chester confirmed this is not the case. I can’t stress enough how much we have going on this week. Geoff isn’t talking about Season 7 launch here. Tune in! https://t.co/K2gwZoizqa — Nick “Unusual Spending” Chester (@nickchester) December 3, 2018 Fortnite fans are already hard at work looking for clues in the first Season 7 teaser, but it seems likely that we’ll not be able to glean much more until the second is released, presumably on December 4. With Christmas just around the corner, some players were expecting a light-hearted festive season, but the image looks significantly more ominous than that. We’ll keep you updated with more information, and our favorite fan theories, over the coming days!

  • Fortnite The End event destroys map & ends Season 10: highlights & recap – Dexerto

Fortnite The End event destroys map & ends Season 10: highlights & recap Epic GamesAfter days of high anticipation, ‘The End’ event has finally taken place in Fortnite Battle Royale, closing the book on Season 10 and marking the launch of Season 11, also known as Chapter 2. One would be hard-pressed to find a time when the Fortnite community was more excited about something that they were for The End event. With all of the leaks, speculation, and rumors flying around way before Epic Games even released the first official teasers, the player-base was more than hyped for what the developers had in store for them come October 13. Well, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, the event finally kicked off, lasting approximately three minutes, making it one of the longer in-game spectacles in Fortnite history. Read More: Myth pleads Epic to not “screw up” Season 11 – The full footage of the event can be found below, courtesy of Fortnite news outlet @LootLakeBR. Unfortunately, due to the extremely high number of people trying to queue into the game and watch the event live, there were many who were unable to and were stuck in the pre-game lobby. However, it appears that Epic foresaw this as a possibility and came up with a contingency plan, as those who couldn’t queue in got to experience their own version of the event, with everything in the lobby getting sucked into the same mysterious darkness. EVENT IN LOBBY WHAAAAT!!!pic.twitter.com/mwvsUZjACa — HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks & News :jack_o_lantern: (@HYPEX) October 13, 2019 As for the event itself, all of the playlists and modes were disabled except for one: “The End.” Players who manage to get into the event witnessed the countdown timer above Dusty Depot reach zero, which prompted several rifts to open up in the sky and spew out bright blue rockets. The rockets then flew around the map, colliding with various things, before they all came together and smashed into the meteor, causing it to vanish from the map. Read More: Fortnite Season 11 event crashes Twitch – After a short period of stillness and silence, a massive rift opened up in the sky again, this time releasing the meteor and all of the rockets at once, which ended up slamming into the heart of the island and causing everyone to be launched into the sky. Once all of the players were floating well above the island, a massive black hole appeared where the meteor had struck, which started sucking everything into a single point of energy that ultimately transformed into a mysterious circle floating in the middle of complete darkness. What comes next? The End event caused Fortnite to go completely dark, and in more ways than one. Aside from the game being nothing more than just a black screen with a floating circle, its official social media pages also went dark, and it was even taken off of Epic Games’ official website. This led some to believe that Epic had simply deleted the game, which technically they did, although the prospect of Fortnite being gone forever seems pretty impossible. Read More: Epic literally delete Fortnite after The End – This is even more so true when considering that what everyone believes to be the new map was leaked several days prior, along with a list of all of the new locations that will be on it. The only thing everyone can do is just wait and see when the popular battle royale will be brought back to life, and what lays in store for them once it was.

  • Fortnite The End reveals Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as The Foundation – Dexerto

Fortnite The End reveals Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as The Foundation Epic GamesDwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is The Foundation, Fortnite’s mysterious interdimensional traveler that’s the integral cog in the battle royale’s overarching story. With mysteries still abound in Epic Games’ battle royale, one of the game’s worst-kept secrets is finally official: The Rock is in Fortnite. The international movie star was fully revealed during Chapter 2’s The End event and could play a pivotal role in Chapter 3. At the apex of Fortnite’s transition to its new era, Epic did away with any speculation by revealing the true identity of The Foundation. That’s the moment Johnson’s face and iconic eyebrow raise graced every players’ screen. The reveal also confirmed long-held fan theories that The Rock would someday be included in Fortnite given very obvious clues to suggest as much. The Rock in Fortnite The End was just the beginning of The Rock’s time in Fortnite. His character, the Foundation, came just in time to save Jonesy and continue the epic saga of The Zero Point. Lore aside, this was a long time coming for fans. Johnson had dropped a few teases and one very clear-cut reference to the game’s mysterious character. But months passed as more questions started to pile up without any answers to what Epic was up to. The Rock’s March 16 teaser was leading up to this moment in Fortnite history as players suspected that there was something brewing. (Timestamp at 5:07 for mobile viewers) It’s unclear to what extent the Rock’s voice-over talents will be used throughout the next Chapter, but The Foundation and The Seven have been the linchpin of every major event in the story so far. • Fortnite ‘The End’ cosmetics revealed ahead of Season X finale – Dexerto

Fortnite ‘The End’ cosmetics revealed ahead of Season X finale Epic GamesEpic Games have revealed some of their new cosmetics for Fortnite’s upcoming ‘The End’ event – and it looks like fans will be able to pick a side. Fortnite Season X is finally drawing to a close after weeks of getting to grips with the BRUTE Mechs, Rift Zone locations, and glitched consumables. As with the conclusion of any season, Epic Games has an in-game event lined up with this one being called ‘The End’. Fans have been speculating what that name means since it was first leaked, yet despite the crazy theories, they’ve been able to watch a rocket be constructed at Dusty Depot by The Visitor in preparation for the finale. And now, it appears as if fans will be split down the middle in what they want to happen during the cinematic event. Ahead of the end of the October 13 countdown, Epic Games has revealed a brand new emote called ‘Go Home!’ that will be available in the Item Shop. In the same vein as the Cattus and Doggus event, where fans chose to be either Team Monster or Team Mech, they can hold up a sign protesting against The Visitor being on the battle royale island and whatever he has planned. • Fortnite The Device event ends Chapter 2 Season 2 – highlights & recap – Dexerto

Fortnite The Device event ends Chapter 2 Season 2 – highlights & recap Epic Games[jwplayer BbiWbi4j]After days of anticipation, ‘The Device’ event has finally happened in Fortnite, wrapping up Chapter 2 Season 2, and it also gave the Storm a massive facelift. As with every in-game Fortnite event, the community was buzzing with excitement in the days running up to the big reveal of what exactly the mysterious Device would actually do to the map. With all of the leaks, speculation, and rumors flying around way before Epic Games even released the first official teasers, the playerbase was more than hyped for what the developers had in store for them on June 15. It all finally went down on June 15, at 11 AM PST, and at roughly 10 minutes, it was one of the longest, non-musical in-game events in Fortnite yet. Full footage of the event can be found below, courtesy of Fortnite YouTuber SypherPK. As past links and Sypher’s thumbnail hinted at, Fortnite’s map did indeed flood. After a few minutes of Midas’ device apparently fighting back the storm with massive laser beams, a huge tidal wave surrounded the map instead, taking its place. As Matthew McConaughey said in Interstellar: ‘Those aren’t mountains, those are waves.” Players can still enter the tsunami, but the change does basically get rid of storm fights since you can only swim around and take damage now. There were also fish, sharks, and even a giant kraken spotted swimming around in the water, but how they’ll interact with players (if they even do) remains to be seen. Read More: How to make boats fly in Fortnite – But a new type of storm was only part of the event. At various points throughout, players experienced visions that kind of broke the game’s fourth wall with Jonsey and a mysterious, Matrix-like office space. Fans were transported to an all-white office area several times during the event after a brief whiteout. We were able to walk around the closed office, and at first, it sounded like Henchman were walking around and talking outside. As the visions continued, we could make out what the characters outside of the office were saying and in the final one, Jonsey himself came into the office after apparently calling the shots for the event, and asked if we could “actually hear him.” With Chapter 2, Season 3 officially underway, players just logging in will find the map a little wetter than the last time they played. We’re still left with one big question after The Device event though: is Fortnite just one big simulation? Maybe Season 3 will give us some answers, eventually at least.

  • Fortnite The Device event bug hints at possible FPS mode in the works – Dexerto

Fortnite The Device event bug hints at possible FPS mode in the works Epic GamesA new glitch following The Device event in Fortnite has players convinced that a first-person mode could be coming soon to the popular battle royale title. Fortnite has exclusively been a third-person shooter since its 2017 release. Despite all of the unique limited-time modes that have popped up over the years, the core fundamentals of Epic’s battle royale have remained the same. That could all be changing very soon though. In the midst of the June 15 event, which introduced a new type of storm, The Device also forced players into a first-person view at times. These brief flashes took place outside of the map and did not feature any form of combat. However, upon returning to the regular game, some players were stuck in this perspective. The Device event allowed players to briefly walk around an office as though the game had shifted to an FPS. When transitioning back to the proper map, however, most players were shifted back to the over-the-shoulder view. Some were able to buck the trend though, and float back down without seeing their body. Animations were sharp and, overall, Fortnite looked completely refined from the new perspective. So refined, in fact, that many players believe this glitched POV could be hinting at a fully-fledged FPS mode coming sometime soon. Weapons fit perfectly on the screen and cycling through items looked completely natural. The glitch didn’t seem alien at all. Perhaps the only noticeable issue came when trying to emote from the new perspective. No animation could be seen and the camera did not transition back to a third person POV for dances. This first-person bug also occurred for players on mobiles as well. While it could just be a simple glitch for the time being, the fact that it works so fluently across platforms seems to hint at it being a future mode. Read More: How to make boats fly in Fortnite – Perhaps a new limited-time mode is on the way as Epic looks to test the battle royale as an FPS. Or maybe it will even be an option outright in the future. Giving players multiple ways to experience the shooter. Limiting your field of view could add an extra challenge, but it would certainly spice things up as the title enters its 13th season. If you missed out on the major June 15 event, here’s our Device full recap.

  • Tfue is now spotting Llamas from Fortnite’s Spawn Island and it’s really not fair – Dexerto

Tfue is now spotting Llamas from Fortnite’s Spawn Island and it’s really not fair FaZe/Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney wowed fans with his ability to accurately find a Loot Llama from the Fortnite Battle Royale pre-game loading island and it could be a game changer. The Fortnite star is one of the most recognizable names on Twitch and in the battle royale game, attracting an army of fans wherever he goes and leaving them speechless with some of his highlight plays. Yet, it’s his pre-game clips that are impressing fans. For the past few days, Tfue has been looking to locate Loot Llamas before dropping into games – even finding them while in the battle bus. However, he’s now taken thing one step further and found them right from the spawn island. During his July 11 stream, the Fortnite star left thousands of fans speechless when he began looking to find a Llama in the pre-game lobby. Considering how far away the battle royale island is from the loading island, it’s a pretty monumental task to pull off. Yet, in true Tfue fashion, he managed to aim down his sniper scope and find a tiny purple dot located in a tree in the snow biome. Clearly delighted with himself, Tfue celebrated: “Boom! They talk about my fucking Llama’s bitch. They talk about it.” Like the majority of his mind-blowing highlights, the clip made its way on to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit, where even those fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing. One posted: “Bro I can’t even see it in this clip with slow motion and my face right next to the monitor Lmao.” User Lunplayz added: “How the fuck is he doing this? I know there’s a trick to it.” Sometimes, however, Tfue even finds the Llamas when he’s not quite sure where they are. He pulled off that particular trick on July 9. While grabbing some food, the Fortnite star picked out a few random trees and hit his ping button to see if he could find the loot-filled item. It didn’t take long before he had his eyes on the prize but he didn’t quite celebrate – opting to get a bite to eat while dropping into his match. Now that Tfue has picked up on it, finding a Llama is probably going to become an impressive skill that many Fortnite players try to master. Considering just how difficult it is, we’re expecting increasingly impressive highlights as we move forward.

  • Fortnite pro Tfue reveals the perfect counter to the Baller – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Tfue reveals the perfect counter to the Baller Epic Games / Tfue YouTubeThe Baller has been a nuisance for players since it was added in Fortnite’s 8.10 patch, but FaZe Tfue found the perfect counter for players rolling through with the help of a Boogie Bomb. After Fortnite took out the controversial X-4 Stormwing from the game, they released the Baller soon after which caused a different kind of headache for the game’s community. Even though Tfue joked about being reluctant to share his “secrets” with his community, he encountered quite a bit of Ballers throughout his playthrough which showed exactly how to dispose of the pesky players. The key lies within the very underappreciated Boogie Bomb with its ability to force players to bust a move regardless of what they’re doing. Tfue explained what he was planning to do with the bombs in tow. “Bro I hate to give away my secrets, you know,” Tfue said. “…When [my Baller] gets blown up, I got Boogie Bombs. I’ll just Boogie Bomb someone out of their Baller and I got a SPAS right to their dome. And if they don’t die from that SPAS shot, I got them with a gold P90.” (Timestamp at 0:09 for mobile viewers) The streamer is later seen doing just that when over 30 players were fighting for space in a cramped circle. Knowing that someone in a Baller was coming through, he peeked out of his enclosure and threw down a Boogie Bomb straight onto them. This made the driver unexpectedly exit his vehicle where he was immediately eliminated by the FaZe player. Though the counter my be simple in its approach, Boogie Bombs are a Rare utility item and even when a player does find them their usefulness is incredibly situational. If a player doesn’t mind the bombs taking up a slot, then carrying a few around seem to be the most effective way for preventing Ballers from ruining a match.

  • Fortnite star Tfue reveals why he’d consider switching to controller, and it’s not aim assist – Dexerto

Fortnite star Tfue reveals why he’d consider switching to controller, and it’s not aim assist YouTube: Konkrete/Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed the one reason why he’d hang up his keyboard and mouse set-up for good and switch it out for a controller. As well as being one of the biggest names on Twitch, Tfue is also legitimately one of the best Fortnite Battle Royale players in the world – amassing $503,400 in prize earnings through stellar tournament performances. Tenney has already qualified for the Fortnite World Cup’s solo event with his keyboard and mouse, but he might be willing to switch things up after discovering an enticing option within the controller settings. During his June 30 stream, Tfue was taken down by a controller-using enemy when he had been unable to rotate a ramp during a build battle. The Fortnite star immediately complained about his low sensitivity affecting him, before considering the option of switching to a controller himself. “Bro, honestly, I’m about to just switch to controller – it’s just so much better,” he started. “Like, imagine having an editing sensitivity, that would be so sick.” Tfue continued on, complaining about his current sensitivity level but admitting to not wanting to change because it would throw off his whole game. After one fan told him to grind through practice courses to make things work, Tfue added: “It’s not even that. I play on such a low sensitivity that I literally have to fucking swipe like fucking crazy. They just need to add an editing sens like console. That’d be fun.” [Video timestamp of 1:10 for mobile viewers] Will Tfue make the switch? Considering Epic Games’ staff are out of the office for the next two weeks on a well-deserved break, it’s probably unlikely that they’ll be rushing back to work in a bid to release a similar option on PC. That’s not to say it won’t come in the future, but it would be a pretty big shift and may take some time. Regardless of that, the sensitivity isn’t the only problem Tfue has had with Fortnite recently – after he was left frustrated with how “dumb” it is that ping plays such a big part in the outcome of a match. Despite all that though, Tfue will have to perceive and gear up for the $30 million World Cup event, where he will enter as one of the favorites.

  • Fortnite: Tfue, Ninja, NICKMERCS and more react to Combat Shotgun vault – Dexerto

Fortnite: Tfue, Ninja, NICKMERCS and more react to Combat Shotgun vault Epic Games / Ninja/ FaZe Clan / DrLupo / TSMEpic Games announced on Thursday, September 6 that they were officially removing the controversial Combat Shotgun, and some of v10.20.2 patch, the developers of the popular battle royale title revealed they had vaulted a number of weapons including the Drum Shotgun, but the decision to eliminate the Combat Shotgun from the current loot pool had pro players and popular personalities alike discussing the change. By far the most powerful shotgun, with incredible range and high damage, many are glad to see the back of the weapon, but not everyone was pleased by Epic’s decision to place the item into the vault. FaZe Clan’s Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff shared his disappointment at the removal, with the controller player frustrated by the decision. “Not the combat fam,” wrote the streamer on Twitter, pairing it with an emoji of someone facepalming, clearly not happy that he’ll no longer be able to wield the weapon. Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller was also upset, writing on Twitter: “Am I the only one who liked the combat? Sorry I don’t like getting aim assisted for 200 (HP) with a Pump Shotgun.” Am I the only person who liked the combat?? Sorry I dont like getting aim assisted for 200 with a pump — Bizzle (@Ghost_Bizzle) September 5, 2019 Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins disagreed with Bizzle’s opinion though, responding that the “gun is the easiest weapon to use in the game and has (no) skill gap.” When the Ghost Gaming pro told the streamer he would “10-0” him in a Combat Shotgun battle, Ninja delivered an amazing roast, simply responding: “Must have read my book.” The gun is the easiest weapon to use in the game and has 0 skill gap? — Ninja (@Ninja) September 5, 2019 On the other hand, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who now reigns supreme as the biggest Fortnite streamer on Twitch, was delighted to see the back of the gun, showing his excitement at the move before explaining that the game is “more enjoyable” when the Pump Shotgun is the dominant weapon in the meta, with TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabanni showing his agreement. Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson was conflicted by the news, explaining that they vaulted his favorite shotgun, but that he is a big fan of the Suppressed Assault Rifle which returned in the patch. Ben ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo was happy with the changes in the update, sending emojis of clapping hands in response to Epic’s tweet, while Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore called on Epic to unvault the Epic and Legendary versions of the Pump Shotgun in response to the vaulting. vaulted my fav shotgun – unvaulted my fav ar – win or lose? pic.twitter.com/yRdjwk3fwc — mongraal (@Mongraal) September 5, 2019 Just because the developers have decided to remove the Combat Shotgun from the game now, doesn’t mean we will never see it again though. Epic Games always stress that any item placed in the vault is always eligible to return, so it’s possible we could see the weapon return to the game at some point in the future, possibly with a rework to address its crazy power and bring it more in line with Fortnite’s other shotguns.

Fortnite: Tfue, Cizzorz and more react to controversial Ice Zombies Epic Gamesthe in-game Ice Sphere live event on January 19. Just what the event would bring to the game was the cause of mass speculation among Fortnite fans and players, but it was eventually revealed that the Ice King, a character teased at the beginning of Season 7, was hiding inside the ball. Tfue sees the positive side of the reskinned Zombies. The character sent the wintery weather flying across the map and brought with him some friends – the Ice Zombies. FaZe Clan player Cizzorz tweeted: “I’m not even mad at Fortnite anymore I’m just disappointed. Every single BR update brings something that makes the game so unenjoyable. There’s a reason I’ve been playing so much creative mode because it’s actually F U N. BR, not fun. Planes. Boomboxes. Zombies.” His FaZe teammate Tfue was less critical, simply Tweeting “Zombies = Shield,” referring to the fact that after killing a number of Zombies, a shield potion will drop, bringing more shields back to the game, a welcome change. Bruh I’m not even mad at Fortnite anymore I’m just disappointed. Every single BR update brings something that makes the game so unenjoyable. • One major bug is still in Fortnite and Tfue isn’t happy about it – Dexerto

One major bug is still in Fortnite and Tfue isn’t happy about it Fortnite has a lot of bugs, but some are certainly more annoying than others. Tfue sounded off on one editing glitch that may fool unsuspecting players. Ever since the start of Fortnite Season 8, it seems there are now more bugs plaguing the game than ever. Each patch seems to iron out some old bugs while introducing some more, while there are some bugs that have remained in the game for quite some time now. One of these bugs includes presenting a prompt to edit your opponent’s structure – but not actually having the ability to do so. Famous Fortnite streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney recently came across this bug during one of his streams, and while it wasn’t the direct cause of his death, he did complain about the bug after he died. Tfue running into this bug can be seen at the very start of the above video; in the middle of a fight, he sees the prompt come up that says he can edit his enemy’s build, just like it were his own. “Oh my god, dude, this fucking editing shit is so annoying bro,” he said. “Like, I know it’s not mine but this shit’s still coming up.” The video zooms in on where you can see the editing prompt show up. With the current Fortnite meta being what it is, players can quickly become frustrated with enemy walls having an edit prompt, considering there are going to be a lot of walls, ramps and floors all over the place. There are numerous bugs plaguing Fortnite, and players can take a look at the list of the top bugs here. Epic Games encourages players to share their bugs by reporting them to the Trello board, where they’ll then be targeted for fixes.

  • Fortnite test reveals HUGE advantage for controller players, and it’s not aim assist – Dexerto

Fortnite test reveals HUGE advantage for controller players, and it’s not aim assist Epic Games / MicrosoftThere appears to be an inconsistency in Fortnite Battle Royale that gives players on controller and advantage over their mouse and keyboard using counterparts. The Fortnite debate surrounding controller vs mouse and keyboard has been going on between the two sides almost as long as the game has existed. Those on M+KB have always argued that aim assist is a huge advantage given to controller players, whose rebuttal has always been that the precision and accuracy of a mouse is miles ahead of what can be done using a joystick. However, a recent development in the popular battle royale has strongly suggested that controller players do indeed have a massive advantage, and it has nothing to do with aim assist. A lengthy test conducted in-game by Reddit user ‘Elijahyeur’ revealed that firing a weapon when using a controller results in much less recoil and kick than on M+KB, even with aim assist turned off. While the claims made in the video have certainly led to many raised eyebrows, some have questioned the legitimacy of the test. Fortnite news outlet FortniteINTEL, who are part of the Dexerto network, conducted their own test, in order to test the validity for the Reddit user’s results. As it turned out, FortniteINTEL’s demonstration led to the same conclusion – that there is noticeably less recoil on controller. Players are welcome to try this test on their own as well. All you would need to do is load into Creative mode, build around eight to 10 walls in line with each other, edit windows in each wall, grab a gray Common Assault Rifle, and shoot through the windows. What does this actually mean in terms of gameplay? While it’s tempting to jump to shocking conclusions after seeing these tests, as many in the community already have, it’s important to remember several things. First of all, these tests aren’t completely conclusive, and could only be proven correct by doing a more complete and in-depth statistical analysis of in-game ballistic readings. Second, that there is no proof that the difference in recoil actually has any kind of effect during matches, especially when considering that those using a mouse themselves also have ways of controlling recoil. Finally, the actual cause of this difference is not yet clear, meaning that it could either be a bug, or have to do with firing near builds, or could even just be something that only exists in Creative mode. All that said, it’s probably worth waiting to see if Epic Games make many mention of it in the near future, before considering making a switch to controller.

  • Fortnite testing out a major change to gliders in all modes – Dexerto

Fortnite testing out a major change to gliders in all modes Epic Games have announced that they are testing out a new way for gliders to operate in Fortnite Battle Royale – allowing players to re-deploy them at any time, in all modes. Currently, gliders can only be used during a number of specific points in a match – right at the beginning when falling from the battle bus, or when using a launch pad or rift. The only exception to this is the ‘Soaring’ LTM’s, which have increased launch pads and rifts, and also allow players to use their glider whenever they jump from a certain height. It turns out that these Soaring LTM’s were in fact a test for Epic’s plans in the future, as they are now rolling out a test to allow glider re-deploys in all modes, not just the Soaring LTM’s. The only requirement will be that you are three stories high, which means that you should almost never take fall damage. In the v6.20 update, we’ll be adding the glider re-deploy mechanic from Soaring 50’s into all game modes. You’ll be able to hop into a Solo, Duo or Squad match as per usual, but now you will be able to re-deploy your glider when you are at least three stories high. We’re testing out a change for re-deploying your glider! Check out the blog for more info: https://t.co/xPkVT13KAA — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 23, 2018 The test will run for a full week, as Epic Games want to see how “providing a singular mobility mechanic that all players can use will affect regular gameplay.” It is a similar mechanic to the one provided in Call of Duty’s new Blackout mode, which also allows players to deploy their wingsuit at any time during a match, when dropping from a certain height. It should at least save repeat fall damage offenders like TSM player Myth from anymore embarrassing self-eliminations!

  • Fortnite tennis skin leaked ahead of Australian Open – Dexerto

Fortnite tennis skin leaked ahead of Australian Open Epic Games could be adding a woman tennis player skin to Fortnite ahead of the Australian Open tournament, if this data mine leak is to believed. There are already World Cup and NFL related characters available in the game so far and according to Lucas7yoshi we might be on the brink of seeing a tennis related skin appear in battle royale. Images have been leaked of the skin in question, which is called ‘Volley Girl’, and will allegedly come with a Used Racket backbling to go with it. Lucas7yoshi shared the “upcoming encrypted skin” with their followers on Twitter, tweeting photos and sharing videos of the potential new tennis players character. Like many of these datamine leaks, it’s unknown if the content revealed here will be added to the game or not until the developer gives fans some official confirmation. While there is no mention of a male character as of yet, judging by previous sports-related skins that Epic has added to Battle Royale in the past, there is a chance that we could see that happen in the future. • Fortnite teasing new Predator crossover at Stealthy Stronghold – Dexerto

Fortnite teasing new Predator crossover at Stealthy Stronghold Epic Games / 20th Century FoxFortnite is no stranger to crossovers, and recent hints and leaks have suggested the next one could see The Predator crash-land and hunt for prey in Stealthy Stronghold. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 ended the Fortnite x Marvel crossover, for the time being. However, more crossovers have already begun, including ones with The Mandalorian and God of War. But that’s not all—teasers and leaks hinting towards other crossovers keeping popping up left, right, and center. First, signs pointed towards a potential crossover with G.I Joe. Then, a crossover with Halo leaked and was more or less confirmed. Now, people have found evidence that another interesting crossover is in the cards, and it could happen soon. Fortnite players might cross paths with an imposing alien warrior from another world, Predator. A crossover between Fortnite and Predator has been hinted at both in-game and in leaked files. It all revolves around Stealthy Stronghold; a new POI introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. The first batch of evidence is something players can see for themselves. Stealthy Stronghold includes three references to the movie, including an actual logo of the Predator. “Fortnite is teasing a PREDATOR collab in Stealthy Stronghold,” said T5G. “Check this out. • Fortnite Thanos skin leak reveals Season 7 Marvel crossover details – Dexerto

Fortnite Thanos skin leak reveals Season 7 Marvel crossover details Epic GamesRight after Epic Games teased the return of Thanos, and maybe Marvel’s Avengers, one of Fortnite’s most reliable leakers has revealed the developers aren’t playing games. A new skin is coming, part of a Thanos Cup tournament. The Fortnite developers have set, and raised, the standard for crossovers with pop culture phenomenons, with Marvel’s Avengers playing a key role at times. Prior to the launch of Endgame, the Avengers returned to Fortnite with their own limited-time mode, and Epic even gave them their own themed season in Chapter 2. While some fans have called for different crossovers – and some have even called for the end of crossovers altogether – we now know Thanos, at the very least, will be returning this season. The Avengers villain, who is focused on destroying everything in his path, has played a key role in these crossovers, with players being able to wield the Infinity Gauntlet and use his powers before. While Season 7 is all about an alien invasion, and you can even use Rick and Morty skins, Epic dropped a major hint that Thanos could be joining them on June 18. “He is inevitable…” they tweeted on June 18, alongside a few different colored emojis. Aside from his inevitable catchphrase being used, the emojis appear to represent the Infinity Stones that Thanos seeks to possess at all times. While the teaser didn’t give too much away, these sort of tweets is what they’ve done previously to tease skins – and we now know that’s correct. Fortnite Season 7 Thanos skin leaked Soon after the teaser dropped, leaker ShiinaBR revealed a new Thanos Cup tournament is coming soon in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7. The teaser itself created a flurry of initial hype for another Marvel crossover, though it looks like it will be exclusively tournament-based. The skin as well as two other cosmetics will be available, kicking off on June 21.

Fortnite teases Nascar collab ahead of FNCS Global Championship Epic Games/DexertoThe Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship begins the first weekend of September, and Epic Games has already indicated a Nascar collaboration is coming soon. Held in Fort Worth, Texas on September 7-8, the FNCS Global Championship is an in-person tournament with a $200,000 prize for the winning team and a prize pool total of $2 million. While most players have been swept up by the latest Chapter 5 Season 4 31.10 update, fans of Fortnite’s competitive side may be interested to know about an upcoming collab with one of the world’s most iconic auto racing organizations. Fortnite’s X account shared a post getting the audience hyped for the upcoming tournament, which also mentioned that Nascar was “ready to bring the energy” to it. This makes it sound like we’ll get more information during the tournament. A trusted Fortnite leaker presented more information in a quoted reply that revealed some important details about this long-awaited crossover. According to the LinkedIn page of a Nascar employee, the company has plans to bring elements of the iconic brand into Fortnite through “new licensed Vehicles and new Rocket Racing Tracks.” That will likely mean new car skins for Rocket Racing, as well as Nascar cosmetics that you can use in the Battle Royale mode. The leaked image provided also made it seem like Rocket League, also owned by Epic Games, will receive a similar Nascar collab. This wouldn’t be the only time Fortnite has worked with companies to bring familiar cars to the Battle Royale mode. The Tesla Cybertruck arrived in the game just a few months ago. Players who love both franchises were ecstatic to hear about this news. In reply to another post talking about the Nascar crossover, someone said “that’s a crazy collab.” Another commenter shared how hyped they were for this by simply telling Epic to “take my money.”

  • Fortnite teases potential Nick Eh 30 Icon Series skin – Dexerto

Fortnite teases potential Nick Eh 30 Icon Series skin NickEh30 / InstagramFortnite has just dropped a post on X hinting at a new skin for ‘Nick Eh 30’, one of the most popular content creators for the Battle Royale. Nick Eh 30, a familiar face in the Fortnite community, seems to be joining the game’s Icon Series skins next. No images or concepts regarding the skin have been shared so far, but Fortnite uploaded an X post on June 8, mentioning his famous catchphrase: “Never back down, never what?” To top it off, Nick Eh 30 himself was quick to reply to the post, saying: “NEVER GIVE UP!” Nicholas Amyoony, also known as Nick Eh 30, has been known as a family-friendly content creator and Fortnite streamer, prominent for his positivity. And for so long now, fans have been begging for the famous creator to get his own Icon Series skin. After all, Fortnite is no stranger when it comes to bringing famous celebrities and streamers to the game. Recently, we’ve just got Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and even Eminem as Icon Series skins. The best thing about Icon Series skins is that they’re not just solely restricted to celebrities but streamers as well! Ninja and Loserfruit are just some examples of streamers who previously received their own Fortnite skins. Despite no other details shared by Fortnite, players and even other content creators have swarmed the post to congratulate Nick Eh 30 in the comments. “Finally a Nick Eh 30 skin. He’s deserved one for years,” wrote ‘I Talk’, a Fortnite content creator well-known for covering Item Shop skins and cosmetics. SypherPK, who’s had his own Fortnite Icon Series skin, also chimed in to say, “This meme is MASSIVE!” Seeing previous Icon Series skins in Fortnite, it’s safe to assume other cosmetics — such as a glider, pickaxe, and even an emote — may be included with the skin. It may also be likely that the skin will have some reactivity as well, such as toggling the extra effects for the skin on and off in the locker. Until then, we’ll just have to wait and be patient for what Fortnite plans to unveil next.

  • Fortnite teases massive crossovers with Breaking Bad, TikTok, and Dead by Daylight – Dexerto

Fortnite teases massive crossovers with Breaking Bad, TikTok, and Dead by Daylight YouTube: Revenge, Behaviour InteractiveEpic Games are potentially eyeing up their most ambitious crossovers yet, as Breaking Bad, TikTok and Dead By Daylight have been touted in a fresh survey to gauge player interest. Fortnite is enjoying an incredible run in 2022, with the Epic Games battle royale releasing a series of superb crossovers. While the game has enjoyed success with these events before, the additions of Darth Vader, Indiana Jones and DragonBall Z have seen Fortnite reach stratospheric heights with its player-base. As the next season gears up for release in September, Epic Games are gathering data to influence their next crossovers, with TV shows such as Breaking Bad included within their survey. Breaking Bad’s Gus Fring spotted in Fortnite crossover survey Keen to enhance the Fortnite experience where possible, developers Epic Games often collate data from their player-base via regular surveys. The surveys in question are divided into different categories, with sections such as Celebrities, TV Shows and Video Game Characters included too. According to reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, Epic Games have mentioned Breaking Bad’s Gus Fring in the latest survey. The leaker said on social media that “Gustavo Fring (Breaking Bad) is actually mentioned in Fortnite’s latest Survey.” Not only is Giancarlo Esposito’s iconic villain mentioned, but HYPEX also clarified that “Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Adam, Khaby Lame, Charli D’Amelio, Miles Morales, Fe4rless, Dead by Daylight” are among the latest survey suggestions. However, it is worth noting that their appearances in the survey aren’t a direct confirmation of their future in Fortnite. Despite that, HYPEX explained “Epic clearly sends these to prioritize some collabs over the others.” “Not saying they’re already in the works but if a collab is voted more than others they’ll surely consider it more,” continued HYPEX. The leaker further highlighted the importance of survey’s, as they said “or else they wouldn’t bother to make these surveys anyway.” Viral video platform TikTok is also among the survey’s categories, as past surveys have asked participants to note dances they’ve seen while using the application. It wouldn’t be the first time that a survey has proved fruitful for Fortnite, as Indiana Jones was included in the Pop Culture Brands or Characters section before his arrival in the game.

  • Fortnite tease exclusive new Drift Crew skin with Fox Clan hints – Dexerto

Fortnite tease exclusive new Drift Crew skin with Fox Clan hints Epic GamesUPDATE 1/24: After making several tweets and updating their avatar, the official Fortnite Twitter account deleted all tweets made on January 24 and reversed their avatar to the previous picture. The official Fortnite Twitter account started the hype train for the game’s next Fortnite Crew release by changing their avatar and issuing cryptic tweets about ‘Fox Clan,’ and fans are already speculating on when the next big surprise might arrive. Fortnite has a long history of using in-game and social media teasers to hype up the BR’s future content. Whether teasing some new skins or a complete rework of the game’s universe, Epic Games is no stranger when it comes to feeding players a slow drip of hints to build up the hype. With Chapter 2 Season 5 well underway, players have already been treated to special events like Terminator and Predator crossovers. However, Season 5 doesn’t end until March 15 and players are already looking for clues on what the season’s next content drop might include. On January 24, Fortnite’s official Twitter account changed its avatar and tweeted out two mysterious hints linked to the game’s next big reveal. The community quickly flooded Twitter to discuss the teasers, but were then confused when the tweets were deleted only hours later. The first tweet referenced establishing a connection and beginning a scan, which didn’t give fans much to go off of. However, the second part had some important implications, and included a reference to one of the games most iconic characters: Drift. “Drift? Drift. Come in. Do you read me?” the last sentence read. Drift was originally introduced in Fortnite’s first Season 5, and was loved by players for his unique kitsune appearance and skins (kitsune means fox in Japanese, and these creatures often appear in Japanese folklore). The second tweet issued a cryptic warning: “I know you don’t know who I am, but the Fox Clan is in trouble. We need you.” Fox Clan is something completely new to Fortnite, but it appeared to tie in with Drift’s previous in-game aesthetic and the account’s updated avatar. Fortnite data miner HYPEX also believed the teasers are related to Drift. The leaker shared an image of an unreleased Drift skin – which appeared to be a female version of the previously-male character – and confirmed the skin will be included in the February edition of the Fortnite Crew subscription. Fortnite Crew – Epic’s monthly subscription model – nets players each new battle pass and 1,000 V-bucks every season, along with Crew Packs that include an exclusive outfit and matching accessory. HYPEX confirmed that the teased Drift skin will be tied to an upcoming Crew Pack. So far, Epic Games has not revealed any additional clues other than the two mysterious tweets. While new information will continue to be discovered by HYPEX and other data miners, no additional clues have been posted at the time of writing. Here’s the teaser of the upcoming “”Drift”” crew skin (on the left) pic.twitter.com/zsbJaJV51f — HYPEX (@HYPEX) January 24, 2021 After issuing several more mysterious tweets after the first two were posted, the official Fortnite account then deleted all of the tweets teasing the new content and reverted the account’s avatar to its previous image. It remains to be seen whether this is part of a larger plan involving the teaser process, or if Epic took these actions to correct a reveal that was made too early. The Fortnite and Epic Games accounts haven’t issued any additional clarifications at the time of writing. Fortnite fans will need to wait for confirmation on exactly what Epic has planned for the February Crew Pack, and why these tweets were made and then deleted. We will make sure to keep you updated as any new information is revealed at Fortnite Intel on Twitter.

  • Fortnite’s Team Rumble playlist might have been secretly changed – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Team Rumble playlist might have been secretly changed Epic GamesFortnite’s staple team-based mode appears to be the cause of much frustration due to a number of unannounced changes impacting the way that Team Rumble functions. Pitting two teams of 20 against each other, Team Rumble has been a consistent playlist in Epic’s popular battle royale title since its release on November 27, 2018. While the longstanding mode is often a popular way to experience Fortnite without having to sit through a traditional 100 player match, the playlist appears to be bogged down by a number of sudden changes that have frustrated even the most dedicated players. In previous seasons, if a player departed from a Team Rumble match, the spot would be left vacant for the remainder of the battle. However, players have been experiencing a great deal of frustration as those empty spots are now being filled mid-way through. Rather than dropping 40 players into a fresh lobby all at once as per usual, players looking for a match in the Team Rumble playlist now seemingly have the chance to be pushed into a game that is already in progress. Dropping into a what they assumed would be a brand new game on March 9, Reddit user ‘TheMightyWitcher’ was instead thrown into Slurpy Swamp as they joined a match part-way through. Landing with no weapons or building materials, they were obviously at an extreme disadvantage from the get-go. Fortunately, they were able to secure a Supply Drop shortly after arriving but by the time they equipped a weapon, the enemy team had already secured 45 eliminations. Experienced players may able to turn the tides despite joining into a game late, however, not everyone is going to enjoy being thrown into the midst of a heated battle without anything in their arsenal. “Keeps happening to me,” Reddit user ‘texas__pete’ chimed in. “Four times in a row. I join a game partway through, with no materials or weapons.” Epic Games is yet to comment on the change, therefore, there’s no indicating whether joining games midway through is an unannounced feature or an unintended bug. Not the first major aspect of Team Rumble to be causing frustration in Season 2, player tags have also been disappearing across the board, leading players to confuse enemies for friendlies.

  • Fortnite tank locations: Where to find & how to destroy them – Dexerto

Fortnite tank locations: Where to find & how to destroy them Epic GamesWondering where to find tanks in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2? Or maybe you want to know how to destroy them? We’ve got all the details you need right here. The battle between The Seven and The Imagined Order (IO) has erupted in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, with red and blue lines separating the island and IO Airships with siege cannons appearing across the sky. Another new feature that’s been introduced to Fortnite as part of the ongoing war is the tank; this powerful and sturdy vehicle is perfect for slowly traversing the island and dishing out devastating damage to your opponents. Below, you’ll find out exactly where to find tanks in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, as well tips on how to drive them – and how to destroy them. Contents Where to find tanks in Fortnite – How to drive tanks in Fortnite – Can you destroy tanks in Fortnite? – How to damage a tank and collect armor samples – All tank locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Tanks spawn at most of the major locations that are currently controlled by the Imagined Order, which you can find by looking inside the red lines. Right now, most POIs are inside these IO-controlled areas. Here are all of the locations where you can find tanks in Fortnite: Command Cavern (2 tanks) – The Fortress (1 tank) – Tilted Towers (1 tank) – Coney Crossroads (1 tank) – The Daily Bugle (1 tank) – Rocky Reels (1 tank) – Condo Canyon (1 tank) – The areas controlled by the Imagined Order will change over the course of Chapter 3 Season 2, so the places you can find tanks will change too. As long as you follow the red lines, you’ll know where they are. You can also see the current tank locations marked on the Fortnite map below: As you can see, Command Cavern is arguably the best place to get a tank, as two of them spawn there. This is a heavily-guarded location, though, so it’s also one of the most dangerous places to visit. How to drive tanks in Fortnite Tanks have four seats, with each one serving a different purpose: There’s the driver’s seat, which allows you to move the tank and shoot explosives; the turret, which can fire fast bullets; and two roof seats that allow you to fire your own weapons. If you’re in the driver’s seat, you can aim the main explosive gun by using your camera controls. It’s slow and difficult to aim, just like the driving controls, but if you can land a shot you’ll be able to destroy buildings and deal 100 damage to opponents. There’s a special HUD on the screen when driving a tank. To the right, you’ll see a bar with your fuel and a bar that shows how fast you’re moving. Tanks also have a boost function, but it will take up a lot of fuel, so use it sparingly. Finally, you can enter thermal targeting vision, which can help you spot any opponents that are hiding or approaching from fat away, as they’ll appear bright white on the screen. Can you destroy tanks in Fortnite? If you’re unlucky enough to be on the opposite side of a tank, you’ll probably want to know the quickest way to take the vehicle (or the driver) out. Fortunately, there are a few weak spots to look out for. The easiest way to take down a tank is to shoot the bronze panel just beneath the turrets on the front side of the vehicle, as this will eventually break away and leave the driver exposed to damage. Another cheap trick is to get inside the tank with your opponent. By doing this, you’ll protect yourself from damage and frustrate your opponents at the same time – although it only works if there are spaces free. If you want to actually destroy the tank, though, then the best approach is to use Remote Explosives. These deal huge damage to tanks, especially as they received a buff against vehicles in Chapter 3 Season 2. How to damage a tank and collect armor samples One of the Week 2 Fortnite Resistance Quests requires you to damage a tank and collect armor samples. To do this, simply locate a tank, hit it with your pickaxe until a piece falls off, then pick it up. You’ll need two of these armor samples to complete the quest. This can take a while, so it’s a good idea to drive the tank away from the IO Base where you found it and complete it somewhere less dangerous. That’s everything you need to know about tanks! • Fortnite team kicked from FNCS after player tells Epic Games boss to ‘kill himself’ – Dexerto

Fortnite team kicked from FNCS after player tells Epic Games boss to ‘kill himself’ Epic GamesA trio of competitive Fortnite players has had their FNCS opportunity taken from them, after one of the players told Donald Mustard, Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, to ‘kill yourself.’ The team had qualified for the grand finals of FNCS in the NA East region, and was set to compete this weekend, but that has all been put to a stop due to comments made by one of the players, ‘Wrigley’. Competing alongside Dictate and Userz, Wrigley sent a Tweet directed to the Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, Donald Mustard. The tweet, which is now deleted (along with Wrigley’s entire account), read: “Like literally f**king k!ll your$elf @DonaldMustard.” On March 14, Wrigley’s teammate revealed that they had been disqualified, sharing the email he received from Epic Games. The notification states: “We are writing to inform you of your team’s disqualification and removal from the Chapter 2 Season 5 FNCS competition, effective immediately. Based on an internal investigation, a member of your team has violated Section 8.1.2 of the official rules.” The specific rule in question stipulates that “players must be respectful of other players, Event Administrators, spectators, and sponsors (as applicable).” It means that the team’s efforts to qualify for grand finals all throughout the season have been for naught, all because of one very ill-advised tweet from one of their teammates. It also means the trio misses out on the guaranteed prize money they would have earned, even if they had placed last. can I at least have my $600 bro child support ain’t cheap @DonaldMustard — Dictating (@DlCTATING) March 14, 2021 Some fans have sympathized with Dictate and Userz, who have been punished for their teammates’ actions. • Fortnite takes shot at Tesla Cybertruck with broken windows cosmetic – Dexerto

Fortnite takes shot at Tesla Cybertruck with broken windows cosmetic FortniteFortnite players are getting a good laugh after Epic Games introduced a broken window cosmetic for the Tesla Cybertruck, a nod to the infamous real-life demo fail. The Tesla Cybertruck’s debut was memorable for the wrong reasons. During the unveiling, a demo to showcase its durability failed when the “shatterproof” windows broke on stage. The incident quickly became a viral meme, with the internet mocking the vehicle’s unexpected fragility. So, when Fortnite announced the Cybertruck‘s in-game debut, players naturally wondered if it would also have broken windows and barely work. The answer is yes, to all of those questions. Players who have unlocked the Tesla Cybertruck, as part of the Summer Road Trip event, found that it includes a special cosmetic from the Bonus Goals Tesla Series. The decal, aptly described as “for demo purposes only,” humorously adds a broken window to the vehicle. This is a direct nod to the mishap at the real-life demo. However, the joke didn’t stop at the cosmetic. Some players reported actual issues with the Cybertruck’s functionality in the game. One player noted, “It might be just me, but whenever I use the Cybertruck, I can’t use the Nitro Fist after getting out. Is anyone else having this issue?” The community has embraced the situation with humor. Comments like “Tesla Cybertruck is so broken in real life it’s breaking game mechanics” and “Cybertruck doesn’t even work in Fortnite” have been circulating, along with jokes about the vehicle’s “realistic” portrayal in the game. Adding to the fun, some players have taken a personal vendetta against the Cybertruck in-game. One player warned, “I’ll definitely go out of my way to take out every Cybertruck I see in the game.” Epic Games seems to be enjoying this playful approach. Players even believe they let one employee loose with the Fall Guys skins ahead of the release date.

  • Fortnite Tall Grass locations: Where to find Tall Grass in Chapter 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite Tall Grass locations: Where to find Tall Grass in Chapter 3 Epic GamesIf you’re wondering where the Tall Grass is in Fortnite Chapter 3, look no further, as we’ve got a guide with all the best locations to help you find it and complete those weekly challenges. Epic Games added a lot of new features when the Island flipped upside down at the start of Chapter 3 Season 1, including the ability to slide, swing with Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters, and knock down Pine Trees to damage enemies. Another new environmental feature is Tall Grass, which allows crouched players to sneak around without being spotted. It’s useful for getting the upper hand on your opponents, but also for completing certain weekly challenges. The latest of these quests requires you to damage an opponent within 30 seconds of crouching in Tall Grass, so we’ve put together a handy guide with the best locations to do this. Contents What is Tall Grass in Fortnite? Tall Grass is a new environmental feature on the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 map that helps players stay hidden from enemy players when crouched down inside of it. You’ll still have to be cautious, though, as moving around too much will give away your location. Where to find Tall Grass in Fortnite Chapter 3 Some of the best locations to find Tall Grass in Fortnite are on the east, south, and west outskirts of the Daily Bugle and on top of the various hills to the north of The Sanctuary. We’ve marked all of the Tall Grass locations we’ve found on the Fortnite Chapter 3 map below: It may seem obvious, but it’s worth pointing out that Tall Grass won’t appear in the desert or snow-covered biomes on the map. Stick to the green areas on the east side of the Island. How to complete Fortnite’s Tall Grass challenges There are two weekly Seasonal Quests that involve Tall Grass so far. The first requires you to hide in Tall Grass for 10 seconds, which is as simple as crouching and staying still without opponents spotting you. The second quest asks you to damage an opponent within 30 seconds of crouching in Tall Grass, which will be a lot easier if you land somewhere near the Battle Bus flight as there will be lots of enemies. Read More: How to get free skins in Fortnite – Stock up on some weapons at The Sanctuary or the Daily Bugle and head for the nearby Tall Grass to complete this challenge. Alternatively, just sneak up and use your pickaxe to dish out some easy damage. Both of these challenges will reward you with 25,000 XP each when completed, so it’s definitely worth the effort if you’ve got your eye on something special in the Battle Pass. • Fortnite “sweats” told to be quiet next season to stop nerfs ruining everyone’s fun – Dexerto

Fortnite “sweats” told to be quiet next season to stop nerfs ruining everyone’s fun Epic Games / DexertoSince Epic revealed that several new Marvel weapons will be added to Chapter 5 Season 4, various Fortnite fans have urged competitive players not to complain to prevent them from being nerfed. Fortnite has been building up the hype for the next Marvel-themed Absolute Doom season which finally kicks off on August 16. The community got their first taste of what’s to come with Doctor Doom’s in-game live event and an official trailer revealing tons of Marvel characters and their weapons. However, many excited fans have pleaded to competitive players via social media posts, whether they be pros or just sweats, to not complain about them. One player posted to the FortniteBR Reddit on August 12, to share their frustrations: “I better not see any nerfs that ruin the fun. They better not listen to the cry babies of comp players and just let this season be fun and chaotic, let comp babies go to rank where it will stay boring.” Meanwhile, another viral post with over 35 thousand likes on Twitter/X read: “I don’t wanna hear S**T from the comp players this time around. not a single word. LET US HAVE FUN NEXT SEASON.” “As much as I really hope for this, their voice is unfortunately louder for Epic to hear,” a player responded, as another added: “We deserve it after last season’s nerfs.” Others simply asked Epic to “just split the loot pool” to resolve the claimed issue. This has been common in popular FPS titles for years, such as Call of Duty Ranked Play. The devs have certain weapons, items, and even gun attachments restricted for their competitive mode. Another expanded: “Two pools, one for comp and one for pubs. If you wanna sweat your ass off without any fun, off to comp. Wanna have fun, but you may get wrecked by some weird OP s**t, pubs for you!” Instead, some praised the balancing adjustments. “Things can be balanced and fun at the same time. I love fun Marvel mythics too but I don’t want to lose every single game to a cross-map Doom beam because I didn’t land at the right POI at the beginning,” one said. “Y’all are already predicting things to complain about, what’s wrong with this community,” a player hit back. Fortnite has regularly issued weekly hotfixes and larger updates throughout each season to add new content and issue waves of buffs and nerfs. Therefore, these will always be implemented. We have provided a full list of every new weapon coming to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, and have a guide on when the Season 4 downtime will begin.

  • Best Fortnite sweaty skins to use in Season 6 – Dexerto

Best Fortnite sweaty skins to use in Season 6 Epic GamesThere are now hundreds of skins available in Fortnite, but only a few of them are a sure sign you’re facing off against a sweat. Here are the sweatiest skins you’ll find in Season 6. Fortnite skins are one of the best ways to show off your individual style or your favorite pop-culture characters. We’ve already rounded up the rarest skins and the best skins, but right now we’re looking over the sweatiest skins in Fortnite. So what are ‘sweaty’ skins? Well, they’re skins that are often used by so-called ‘sweats’ in the game; these are players who go the extra mile to show off their skills in the game, even when it’s not needed, to the point where they break a sweat. While Fortnite has been taken over by crossover skins from franchises like Street Fighter and Marvel in recent seasons, you’ll rarely see sweats wearing these. Typically, they’ll go for original designs and skins that the average player can no longer attain. Whether you run the other way when you see a sweat or just make fun of them, there are a number of skins that make it clear you’re up against one of these formidable foes. From Crystal to Renegade Raider and beyond, here are the top sweaty skins in Fortnite. Soccer Skins We’re not 100% sure why the customizable Soccer skins such as Dynamic Dribbler and Clinical Crosser have become so popular among sweats in Fortnite, but we’ve been taken out by them enough times to know they belong on this list. Regular appearances in the Item Shop have made them more common than other skins here, but that hasn’t made them any less sweaty. Renegade Raider If you see someone wearing the Renegade Raider skin, you know they’ve been playing since day one. This skin was only available to purchase in Chapter 1 Season 1 of Fortnite if players reached Level 20 and were willing to spend 1,200 V-Bucks on it. It’s often used to show off a sweat’s OG status, and with years of play behind them, their skills will likely be top-notch. Ghoul Trooper Another skin that’s usually a sign the player wearing it has been around since the OG days is the Ghoul Trooper. It first appeared during the Fortnitemares event in Chapter 1 Season 1, although it has returned to the Item Shop multiple times now, typically around Halloween each year, meaning you’ll sometimes get non-sweats wearing it too. Crystal Crystal is the skin of choice for a number of Fortnite pros, and was the primary skin for World Cup Solo winner Bugha, so it’s not hard to see why it’s become one of the sweatiest skins for players looking to replicate – or appear as though they can replicate – the high skill level of the professionals. It’s cheap at 800 V-Bucks and regularly appears in the Item Shop, so it is slightly more accessible than the rest of this list. Banner Brigade Skins Despite their simplicity, you’ll often see the Banner Brigade skins being used by skilled players in Fortnite. This is likely due to their low entry cost (800 V-Bucks) and the fact that they’re highly customizable with various colors and logos, allowing sweats to keep that classic Fortnite style while also adding an element of individuality. Elite Agent The Elite Agent was part of the Chapter 1 Season 3 Battle Pass, making it a pretty rare skin as three years have now passed since it could be unlocked. While that no doubt contributes to its status as a sweaty skin, what really makes this skin so popular is its black camouflage color scheme – you often won’t see an Elite Agent sneaking up on you in the dark until it’s too late. Sparkplug Sparkplug has been seen in the Item Shop on quite a few occasions now, but that hasn’t reduced its status as a sweaty skin. With its cap-worn-backward and denim overalls, this skin has a ‘too cool for school’ vibe that sweats just love. It’s even been featured in Fortnite pro Pulga’s locker bundle. Mogul Master Fortnite players campaigned for ages to get the Mogul Master skin back in the Item Shop, and that eventually happened at the beginning of 2021. Like the Soccer skins, the Mogul Master’s sheer amount of customization options, relation to a sport (skiing), and rarity are likely what contributes to its sweaty status. That’s it for our sweatiest Fortnite skins list. There are plenty more out there, like Aura and Manic, but these are the ones that seem to pop up the most for us. • Fortnite surpasses League of Legends in all-time prize money rankings – Dexerto

Fortnite surpasses League of Legends in all-time prize money rankings Riot Games/Epic GamesFollowing the success of the Fortnite World Cup in New York from July 26-28, a shift in the total prize money awarded for esports titles has developed, with the battle royale overtake League of Legends to take 3rd in the all-time list. The Fortnite World Cup saw pro players from around the world handed in excess of $30 million in prize money. 16-year-old Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf took home the lion’s share of prize pool as he was crowned the solo’s world champion in emphatic style, with the duos champions Emil ‘Nyhrox’ Bergquist Pedersen and David ‘Aqua’ W splitting $3 million between each other. The current total prize money awarded by Fortnite sits at more than $71 million, and is set to continue rising, as Epic Games plan to hand-out $100 million in prize money throughout the course of 2019. With the game only emerging onto the scene in 2017, how exactly did Epic Games manage to round the funds to overtake League of Legends — a title which has been a staple title in the esports industry since its release in 2009. Alongside the revenue made from in-game purchases, it is likely that the financial resources to award the highest cash prize in esports to-date largely pertains to the success of Fortnite on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, surpassing League of Legends as the most-watched game on Twitch in late part of 2018. However, as Epic Games’ current worth sits at $15 billion (and rising), the investment of tens of millions of dollars back into the players that helped expand the popular battle royale to what it is today almost seems like pocket change. Indeed, the phrase ‘money talks’ springs to mind, as the Fortnite World Cup smashed previous esports viewership records; attracting over 2 million concurrent viewers across all platforms. As the first Season 10 teaser sees the return of Dusty Depot, it’s humbling to see that the developers haven’t forgotten their roots amid the whirlwind of success that Fortnite has seen in the past two years. Season 10 is set to start on August 1, and fans are looking forward to another exciting season of new content.

  • Fortnite Summer Splash 2020 event revealed: LTMs, Cosmetics, and more – Dexerto

Fortnite Summer Splash 2020 event revealed: LTMs, Cosmetics, and more Epic Games[jwplayer ibznrzc6]The Fortnite Summer Splash 2020 event has been announced and Epic revealed what people can expect from the seasonal festivities including the return of fan-favorite limited timed modes (LTMs), new outfits, and more. The sunny celebration on the Fortnite battlegrounds comes a few weeks after the developers drowned the island in the aftermath of the major blockbuster tie-in starring Aquaman. Conveniently, that means the state of the battle royale is perfect for Epic to host a Summer Splash event that should have all the regular fixings for the hottest season of the year. Classic and revamped LTMs There’s going to be a host of classic game modes coming back to Fortnite. We have LTMs like Fog of War (formerly Sneaky Silencers that dates back to January 2018), Close Encounters, Catch!, and Unvaulted. These are just a few of the limited time playlists that Fortnite is bringing back from now until the end of Season 3. Some of these modes have been slightly updated to include new features that have been added to the game since their debut. Epic also teased that completely new LTMs will be coming in future updates as the summer progresses and gave a taste of what they have in store for their fans. “Brand new LTMs will kick off in a future update and include new takes on Operation: Knockout, a reel ‘em in royale, and a game of elimination-powered upgrades,” Epic said in their post. Summer Vibe outfits The devs are really going to dial in with the sights and sounds of a classic Summer break with outfits and cosmetics that lend itself to a hot afternoon on the coast. “Summer Splash will also feature new Outfits and other Item Shop items inspired by all things summer: sand, sea, sports, and — of course — good food.” This includes the Par Patroller skin, the Cozy and Comfy Chomps outfit, and the return of Summer Drift as well as Beach Bomber. Epic have entire catalogue of events to get Fortnite players through the long months as they launch their extensive Summer Splash 2020.

  • Fortnite superpower particle leak reveals upcoming Marvel hero – Dexerto

Fortnite superpower particle leak reveals upcoming Marvel hero Epic Games/MarvelA fresh Fortnite leak has seemingly revealed the next Marvel character that will appear in the battle royale – and its someone that everyone has been waiting for. Even though many fans are already looking ahead to Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5, and what theme that might bring to the battle royale, Epic Games are keeping on with updating Season 4. Given the expansive cast of characters that Marvel have under the belt, the Fortnite developers have a wide range of ideas to work with when it comes to adding new characters, new cosmetics, and new map locations. Plenty of potential characters have already been teased, including the likes of Venom and Ghost Rider, but it looks like the next Marvel hero to arrive in the game has been revealed thanks to a leak. The new leak comes from reliable data miner SizzyLeaks, who showed that there are superhero particles in-game for a character with the code name Cherry. Obviously, this isn’t a Marvel hero named Cherry, but instead, someone whose name begins with a C. Most believe it is Captain Marvel given that she has appeared on a number of graphics alongside Fortnite characters and is one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel universe. As for what these in-game particles relate to? Well, they’re all about the character having a ‘Fireball’ ability. This, again, fits the bill for Captain Marvel as one of her biggest powers is being able to fire energy blasts from her hands. Some fans have also suggested that it could be Crystal, who has appeared in comics for both the Fantastic Four and The Avengers in the past – and is also able to manipulate elements like fire. Unlike Captain Marvel, though, she hasn’t appeared in any of the Fortnite x Marvel crossover images, so while it’s plausible, she seems like an outside shot. Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see who Epic Games actually adds to the game before the end of Season 4, but all signs point to Captain Marvel.

  • Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 event date confirmed – Dexerto

Fortnite Summer Smash 2020 event date confirmed Australia’s best Fortnite players will have their chance to claim glory yet again as the Summer Smash is set to make a return in early February. Since bursting onto the battle royale scene, Fortnite’s competitive side of things has been going strong with numerous LAN events being capped off by the mega Fortnite World Cup back in July. Since the end of that $30 million tournament, however, LAN events have been few and far between – with the best Fortnite players focusing on online competition with the FNCS. However, the next offline event for them to try their hands at is coming around sooner rather than later – but only those in Australia will be able to play. That’s right, the Summer Smash at the Australian Open will be making its return to the Fortnite competitive calendar for 2020. Don’t let the use of summer in the name fool you though – this event isn’t taking six months to come around. Instead, it’ll be played during Australia’s summer season – with the first official LAN date coming on Saturday, February 1. According to the event listing on Ticketmaster’s Australian website, it’ll be another two-day event – running through Sunday, February 2. Like last time, there won’t just be competitive action on show, as there will be another charity pro-am taking place – with the details of how to get involved coming at a later date. Just who will be taking part this time around remains to be seen, with last year’s charity portion containing a mix of Australian and worldwide creators including Lazarbeam, Lachlan, Valkyrae, and Vikkstar.

The Week 6 format will once again be Kingpin. The team with the most points at the end of eight matches wins. Eliminations earn players points towards placement at the end of the event. Earning a Victory Royale will provide a team with a 3x Elimination bonus in the next match. Elimination: +1 Point Victory Royale: 3x Elimination Bonus Next Match 7+ Eliminations: 2x Elimination Bonus Next Match* These multipliers do not stack and only last for the next game. For example, an 8 elimination game with a Victory Royale would only grant a x3 multiplier to points for next game, not a x5 multiplier for next game. The one major difference between this week’s format and last week’s is the prize breakdown. In Week 5, the prizes were awarded to players after the completion of the tournament, whereas Week 6’s prizes are awarded after each of the five matches. Here are how the prizes will be broken down on a per match basis: Summer Skirmish Week 6 Tournament Live StandingsSummer Skirmish Week 6 Tournament Main Event Page –

  • Solo Fortnite players slam Summer Road Trip quest over party tasks – Dexerto

Solo Fortnite players slam Summer Road Trip quest over party tasks Epic GamesA Summer Road Trip quest is irritating solo Fortnite players who can’t believe it demands that they play in a party with friends. The Summer Road Trip event kicked off on July 23, inviting players to participate in nine days of quests that conclude on July 31. A free in-game Cybertruck is the carrot on the stick for those able to complete nine quests, but the second day has already caused problems for some Fortnite players. Day 2 of the event asks that players “Earn (60,000) XP with a party in Battle Royale, Reload, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, or Festival.” This sounds doable but Redditor hwanlv noted that using the Squad Fill function to join up with randoms isn’t an option. The only way to complete the Day 2 task is by playing in a party with friends. Another Fortnite player in the comments confirmed this and told fellow users, “[the] messed up part is you can’t even use the ‘fill’ option. You gotta have friends that actually play it and squad up with them.” Several people expressed frustration at the requirements since they don’t have friends who play the online title. One annoyed user in the thread called Fortnite’s Summer Road Trip quests “horrible.” Another comment reads, “it does irritate me when this game tries to force me to play with other people.” The community has quickly found one way of getting around the issue by relying on their own alt accounts. One person claimed the following worked for them: “use an alt account and do XP quests in the map with your main and your alt afk in the map.” Fortnite users interested in completing every Summer Road Trip quest will have to either make a friend in-game or use the alt account method. In addition to Day 2, the quests for Days 4, 6, and 8 also demand users earn XP while playing with a party. Players have until August 6 to complete all of Summer Road Trip’s tasks.

  • Fortnite streamers and pro players react to Infinity Blade nerfs, and they’re still not happy – Dexerto

Fortnite streamers and pro players react to Infinity Blade nerfs, and they’re still not happy Despite Epic Games pledging to nerf the new and controversial Infinity Blade item in Fortnite Battle Royale, some of the game’s biggest content creators and pro players are still not satisfied. The Infinity Blade is a powerful sword added to Fortnite on December 11, and after a contentious couple of days of seemingly endless complaints, Epic Games announced that they would be adjusting the item in the next game update. However, upon reading the details of the announcement, many prominent content creators and pros remain unhappy about the Infinity Blade. One of the more consistently seen complaints, which was ringing around before and after news of the nerfs was announced, is that the sword throws off the competitive/casual balance that exists within Fortnite. Many are contending that the Infinity Blade should either be vaulted or be moved to its own Limited Time Mode, which would essentially be a blanket solution for all of the issues. However, Epic Games do not seem to be inclined to go down that route, and have instead opted to introduce changes to the item and continue to have it in the game. A small step in the right direction but still not enough. Nobody enjoys fighting the sword. At least when you fought Thanos you were like “”oh this is badass”” because it was the LTM. Right now it’s like “”oh no here comes the sword idiot”” and you just are stressed the whole time — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 13, 2018 Okay…all jokes aside. How on earth is the sword still in-game in its current state? I absolutely love Epic and 95% of what they do to the game but this just fundamentally ruins Fortnite. Please just make it a LTM and everyone will be happy. — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 13, 2018 Rather surprised that Epic intends to keep the Mythic item theme going in Fortnite with the outcry from the competitive community about the sword. Curious to see how the sword plays after the coming nerf in 7.10. (No more building or farming with it.)♂️ — DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 13, 2018 My bet – this will be mostly effective in competitive, UNLESS people start using the sword to rotate for an elim, then drop the weapon, gather mats, build around the sword, and pick it back up. — DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 13, 2018 By the way – “”Just remove it”” isn’t how this works, y’all. If you want to be heard, try to express your desires with a middle ground. Don’t yell at Epic like they owe you money, “”or else.”” Compromise. They coded this thing in. If you want change, be constructive. — DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 13, 2018 Your game grew because of the way it once was. Why will you not listen to what EVERYONE is saying and just remove the things we ask to be removed? What is the point of these mythic items? I just don’t get it… Please, I want to play Fortnite. This is not Fortnite. — Vivid (@VividFN) December 13, 2018 “Fortnite” stuff to me is quirky, but not plain stupid. Bouncers, impulses, freeze traps, boogie bombs, grapplers, etc But a sword that gives you double health, regens over time and on kills, allows you to fly around, etc while still being able to build is just plain stupid — 100T SirD (@SirDimetrious) December 14, 2018 So Fornite plans to continue adding Mythic Items to the game. Not a fan personally. Doesn’t make the game more interesting or diverse in anyway. Makes it the opposite. I can now with 100% certainty predict that I will see someone with a Sword every game. — Tyler (@I_AM_WILDCAT) December 13, 2018 “The presence of Mythic items in gameplay is to provide an interaction a step above the Legendary item functionality and something you’ll continue to see.” I gtg — 100T Parallax (@100T_Parallax) December 13, 2018 It’s still going to be busted I believe. Watching comp and actually playing popup cups players didn’t often build anyways with the sword. — 100T Parallax (@100T_Parallax) December 13, 2018 Friendly reminder to remove the sword from the game completely. thank you. — Creator code:fazecloak (@cloakzy) December 14, 2018 Daily reminder to remove the sword from Fortnite. I’m losing my mind. — FaZe Thiefs (@Thiefs) December 14, 2018 In solos you don’t need to build with the sword. I think it’s a decent nerf for duos and squads but solos need it’s own nerf — FaZe Avery (@Avxry) December 13, 2018 I care about Fortnite a lot. Even though I do not typically like Reddit, I signed on to voice my opinion on the post. I really want what’s best for the game. For everyone, not just myself. — FaZe Avery (@Avxry) December 13, 2018 We wanted re deploy back, 50 health/shield per kill, and ranked play and we got airplanes and an item in every playlist that makes you Thanos — WizKay (@WizKayTV) December 14, 2018 Once again, the way to fix Fortnite, like almost every other game, is seperate competitive and casual. Every BR game tries to balance both and it doesn’t work. What’s good for Casual is almost always bad for Competitive and vise versa. — Criz (@C9Criz) December 13, 2018

  • Fortnite streamer tops Twitch amid Apex Legends hype – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer tops Twitch amid Apex Legends hype Apex Legends took over Twitch during its launch week, with many top Fortnite streamers trying out the new game. Fortnite saw a resurgence on February 10 when MontanaBlack88 started pulling in massive numbers on Twitch. While streaming an EU Fortnite tournament, Montana Black pulled in a staggering 180,000 concurrent viewers. For comparison, Ninja’s peak viewership high this week was 101,000. The tournament is an unofficial event with a prize pool of about $17,000. Watch live video from MontanaBlack88 on www.twitch.tvFortnite has been a mainstay on Twitch, pulling in chart topping numbers every week with only brief dips due to other releases. Fortnite also trailed in peak viewership, clocking in around 325,000 viewers. The Apex Legends peak was over 490,000. • Fortnite streamer uses an actual guitar as a controller & somehow gets kills – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer uses an actual guitar as a controller & somehow gets kills EpicGames/Twitter/robdiesalotIt’s not unusual to see Twitch streamers compete in multiplayer shooters with all sorts of weird controllers, but a Fortnite player is making waves for actually managing to frag out with a guitar. Novelty and gimmick controllers aren’t exactly anything new. Actually winning matches while using them, however, takes quite a bit of skill. That’s exactly what Twitch streamer RobDiesAlot managed to pull off during a recent Fortnite broadcast where he managed to actually win some duels all with his weird controller. In a duel that lasted well over a minute, the Spanish entertainer miraculously managed to outplay his opposition with some smooth maneuvering. The long distance shootout on Sweaty Sands began with RobDiesAlot taking fire from quite a ways off, but rather than engage in the firefight, the streamer took cover and forced his opponent to come to him. Taking a page from Obi-Wan Kenobi in Revenge of the Sith, Rob used the high ground to his advantage to shoot down onto his foe as they approached, but failed to secure the frag. After healing up, the streamer jumped down to take the fight at close range and landed the decisive shot after a sweet 360 spin. “Got him!” Rob laughed with glee. In another impressive clip, the guitarist was able to come out ahead in a close-range firefight and then had to quickly contend with another foe who appeared. Once again, by taking his time and making his opponent come to him, Rob was able to overcome his controller disadvantage and landed the final blow despite only having a sliver of health left. Not bad for someone playing with a musical instrument! https://twitter.com/robdiesalot/status/1331313103758372866 Rob’s guitar skills have been featured before, specifically on his Twitter page where his pinned tweet features him playing over the Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy’s hit song Nemesis. As more and more streamers get into the weird controller game, it will be interesting to see what the future holds and just how far they can push the limit of what’s possible with musical instruments and video games.

  • Fortnite streamer terrified by unstoppable lightsaber-wielding opponent – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer terrified by unstoppable lightsaber-wielding opponent Fortnite x Star Wars saw the popular battle royale collaborating with one of the most iconic films of all time, however one streamer proved that not everyone has a connection to the force when his encounter with lightsabers had him screaming for help. Epic Games celebrated the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker with their continued collaboration in Fortnite, which saw the battle royale get weapons and skins from the movie. However, a Twitch streamer found themselves in a nightmarish situation, when a seemingly unstoppable opponent came at them with the film’s iconic lightsaber. Streamer can’t stop lightsaber wielding opponent Twitch personality ‘Jameskii‘ was in the middle of a match in Fortnite when an enemy unexpectedly came charging at him while wielding Kylo Ren’s red lightsaber. “Is that..? He’s got a f**king lightsaber!” he exclaimed, as he shot the player point blank with his pump shotgun, which seemingly did nothing as they blocked everything with the energy weapon. “What the f**k is this sh*t!?” the streamer asked, after multiple shots failed to do damage. He then hilariously screamed for help, as the opponent continued to charge at him while blocking every bullet. Jameskii then tried to run around the lightsaber-wielding maniac and continued to scream for help at the top of his lungs, as it seemed nothing could stop his attacker. Finally, his partner jumped into action, but none of his shots did anything either. “What the f**k is this!?” he shouted in disbelief, before he finally managed to put him down with what seemed like a whole arsenal of ammunition. His partner burst into laughter, calling the moment “hilarious” which made the Twitch personality exclaim, “Hilarious? I almost had a heart attack. This man is chasing me!” While the iconic Star Wars weapon is only a limited time promotion, not everyone has been a fan of the addition, including Twitch star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney who called the energy sword “a*s” and not worth using. Read More: Fortnite Polar Legends Pack leaked – The Rise of Skywalker hit theaters on December 20, and despite mixed reviews from critics and fans, is already on track to gross over $149 million worldwide on its opening weekend.

  • Fortnite streamer shaves eyebrows for subathon goal but has top donation refunded – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer shaves eyebrows for subathon goal but has top donation refunded Twitch: LacyA Fortnite streamer, Lacy, shaved his head and eyebrows for a subathon goal, but then saw his top donation refunded after cutting it all off. Despite being relatively new in the grand scheme of streaming, subathons have become a mainstay for many content creators. Not only does it help the creator raise funds, but it also allows viewers to interact with their favorite streamers in unique ways. Be it by the streamer having to extend their subathon with every new sub, or with a certain amount of money being donated that the streamer has to do a particular challenge. And for Fortnite streamer, Lacy, one such donation goal was that at 750,000 Bits on Twitch, he would shave his head and eyebrows, which he followed through with. Converted to dollars, it totals roughly $7,500, and Lacy reached it on the third day of his subathon. He made true on his promise and shaved his head and eyebrows before long, though it didn’t quite go according to plan. Only after shaving did the streamer realize the top donator had refunded their donations. It’s quite clear Lacy was very distraught by the news, as after he found out he could be seen visibly tearing up on his stream. “You made me shave my head bald, shave my f***ing eyebrows, to refund?” he said after it all happened. However, with many more hours to Lacy’s subathon, it seems the Twitch community came to help him out in the long run, lifting his spirits before it reached the end. Hours after the news of the donation refunds went around, and as Lacy made his way through his subathon, a seemingly official Twitch account even gifted 50 subs to his channel. “Twitch with 50 gifted!” Lacy shouted when he got the notification. And after confirming it really did come from a Twitch representative directly, he jokingly asked if he was allowed to curse if Twitch was in his chat. Of which Twitch said, “You deserve it, yes you can.”

  • Fortnite streamer SquatingDog on his UEFN journey, Fortnopoly map & more – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer SquatingDog on his UEFN journey, Fortnopoly map & more SquatingDogIt’s hard to be a successful Fortnite content creator. Very few people can bear the pressure of constantly streaming and releasing fresh content and satisfying fans with their creations. One person who has managed this is SquatingDog, who’s been making Creative maps in the game since its inception. He spoke with us about the UEFN, his creative process, and his latest map Fortnopoly. Fortnite Creative has changed the face of gaming by giving users the ability to be more than just players. They can create their own custom Fortnite maps, minigames, and experiences, and then share them with other players around the world. Over the years, several content creators have jumped on the bandwagon and have created their own mini-games for their fanbase. One of the major content creators who has been creating maps since the launch of Fortnite’s Creative mode is SquatingDog. SquatingDog, a seasoned mapmaker and one of the best content creators in the Fortnite scene, has impressed both viewers and other content creators with his unique and entertaining sandbox creations. However, with the release of Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), the developer has stepped up his game and has recently released Fortnopoly. The Creative genius of SquatingDog and his fun-filled maps When asked about his beginnings in map creation, SquatingDog explained that he has always been interested in creating minigames, and Fortnite’s Creative mode granted him the opportunity to do so. Among his earliest works is Proxyball, a variant of dodgeball in which participants use Proximity Launchers to eliminate one another and launch around an arena filled with Bouncers. Buddy System, one of his other noteworthy creations, was an innovative spin on the standard death-run map that required teamwork to complete a complex course. When asked about his earlier experiences with Creative mode SquatingDog said: “The Creative mode was definitely limited in some ways. You only had a device that looked like a phone to put things from the Prefab gallery on your block, which was pretty limited.” “During gameplay, your map would often get messed up, and your imagination was mostly limited to what was in the game.” The arrival of UEFN has been a game-changer for creators like SquatingDog, who says it’s a relief to be able to use tools such as Blender, Adobe Photoshop, and Unreal Engine to create customized assets. These can then be imported into the editor to create a well-detailed map with stunning graphics. “UEFN is a great tool for map-creators like me” SquatingDog has created some of the most breathtaking UEFN (also known as Creative 2.0) maps, which have been popularised by both fans and other creators. Some of his UEFN creations, such as Fartnite, Rats, and Barbenheimer, were popular due to the uniqueness of his ideas. “The UEFN is a great tool that makes it so much easier to make maps. It’s a great tool for creators like me who like to use different programs and make their own assets to add to the map,” he explained. “The best thing about Creative 2.0, in my opinion, is that it gets rid of the Support-A-Creator button that early Creative maps featured and required you to press it to play a game right away.” When questioned about the creator economy and the game’s discovery of such maps, SquatingDog replied: “Well, the new payout model is a lot like YouTube. More people playing your map means more money for you. The trouble, though, is that the Discovery in the game is still primitive. It doesn’t find unique maps or suggest fun games for players other than the usual Red vs. Blue and OnlyUp. “I think they’re just getting started, but I’m sure Epic will fix it soon, so that a fan who likes my work will get a pop-up in the game to try out my newest map. This will also serve as an ad for creators like me who want people to jump right into their maps instead of having to type in a 12-digit code first.” Fortnopoly and OnlyUp Duos with CourageJD Fortnopoly, the creator’s most recent UEFN map, is an innovative spin on the traditional Pit-style meets Lucky Block-type maps in Fortnite Creative. Using various tools such as Blender and Unreal Engine, he converted 2D elements from the original Monopoly board game into 3D for the map. “Fortnopoly is a pit map experience where I wanted to give the players superpowers,” said SquatingDog. “You start off with a really bad loadout, and every time you eliminate someone or pass go, you get gold. You can get gold pretty quickly, and then you can use that gold to dance on tiles to get things like a better weapon or to change the style of the pit right from the Floor is Lava or even to drain the map.” The creator also commissioned a map for CourageJD called OnlyUp Together, which is a different take on the viral platformer game. It requires players to work in pairs and grow their team chemistry, in order to finish a distant journey across the solar system. OnlyUp Together also features classic elements from Fortnite like The Mecha, the Rocket from the launch event, and much more. The map was later streamed by CourageJD and SypherPK, who played it together while entertaining their viewers. When asked about his future plans with UEFN, SquatingDog elaborated: “I have so many things going on right now. In October, I’m going to Unreal Fest to try to get a grant for a big idea, but I won’t be able to talk much about it. “Next is this OnlyUp Duos map I’ve been working on for CourageJD, which will be shared soon. And my next game will be a Rats experience based on my first game, where you’ll be a tiny rat jumping out of a huge Battle Bus.” If you’d like to learn more about SquatingDog and his UEFN creations, you can visit his website for more information.

  • Fortnite streamer recreates iconic Invincible moment as Omni-Man – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer recreates iconic Invincible moment as Omni-Man Prime Video / Epic GamesA Fortnite streamer hilariously recreated an iconic moment from Amazon Prime Video’s hit show Invincible while playing Season OG and dressed as Omni-Man himself. Here’s what happened and how the viewers reacted to it. Fortnite Season OG has been tremendously popular and now that it’s swiftly coming to an end, streamers are on the run to spend their last days while playing the map. Several of their fans got together for a number of livestreams in which they demonstrated their prowess with the game. However, one thing that sets Fortnite streamers apart is their ability to keep their sense of humor in the face of intense competition. Whether they’re facing a vigorous build battle or just evading an enemy ambush, these streamers use their wit and comic timing to convert tense moments into chaotic entertainment. When a similar streamer donned the skin of Omni-man from the current Invincible crossover in Fortnite, he upped the ante by dressing as the character himself. However, things took a humorous turn when they recreated an iconic scene from the popular show during a Battle Royale match. Fortnite streamer recreates Invincible scene dressed as Omni-Man Jordy2d is the streamer in question, and he is well-known for his strange and amusing livestreams, during which he would often dress up as characters and play the game. Jordy went with the look of Omni-Man, the main protagonist of the hit Amazon series Invincible, in one of his livestreams to celebrate the crossover. He’s been streaming as Omni-Man ever since the skin was released for Fortnite and made a bunch of hilarious content to complement his attire. An example of this can be seen in the streamer’s attempt to imitate the renowned “Think Mark Think” line from the same series. At the same time, he utilized a sniper to eliminate an opponent wearing Mark’s skin, while riding a driftboard and delivering the entire monologue. Immediately after doing so, he yelled the response to the dialogue as “Nothing b****. F*****g nothing!” Upon hearing so, several of his fans turned in with their comments with one such fan saying, “Bro sniped Mark!” Another chimed in, “Yet another Jordy banger.” A third one added, “Why did you make me do this (Mark)?” While this is just one of the many instances in Fortnite where the internet remains undefeated, many are still wondering why are players calling for a ceasefire in the game on December 2nd.

  • Fortnite streamer MonsterDFace outlines tips to win more solo gunfights – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer MonsterDFace outlines tips to win more solo gunfights Epic GamesFortnite is layered with simple mechanics that seem user-friendly on the surface, but earning multiple wins can come down to simply calculating and focusing on the solo engagements that would yield the best result in a firefight. Since Epic Games released Fortnite Battle Royale in September 2017, it has been host to an increasingly competitive community that find new ways to mix up theories, but a skill that goes sorely untrained is learning how to pick the best target in a battle. YouTuber MonsterDface explains how managing firefights by prioritizing and committing to the correct target can swing the advantage of an engagement into a more favorable outcome for a player. In the video, he brings up a common situation of being “sandwiched” between two players, and instead of going in guns blazing, he suggest that players take the time to measure out the best engagement could snowball the fight in one’s favor “You always want to target the biggest threat, even if it means pushing back the other enemy that is in the battle as well. You need to be on the fly and not hesitate in order to be successful in target priority in PVP,” MonsterDface said. In the video, he shows how stalling out a fight by simply being attentive to the positions of other players can drastically help someone navigate their next moves. Being hyper-aggressive in the later parts of the game could net huge gains by catching players who feel they have the advantage off guard. A moment of doubt in a high-pressure situation will easily leave one open to an attack. A key to mastering target priority, he says, is to follow through with an assault by not hesitating. Fortnite battles feature numerous factors with complex strategies, but making and keeping to a sound game plan could be the difference to earning a Victory Royale.

  • Fortnite streamer MonsterDFace accidentally joined a scrim lobby and slayed out – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer MonsterDFace accidentally joined a scrim lobby and slayed out While Fortnite crim lobbies are usually filled with very strategic play, one streamer accidentally ended up in one and completely flipped the script on everyone. Epic Games has yet to add custom games to Fortnite Battle Royale, which has forced the pro community to play scrims in public lobbies by queuing up at the same time as one another. Twitch streamer and podcaster ‘MonsterDFace’ was playing some duos with a friend on stream when he managed to somehow queue up at the same time as the pros and ended up in FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s scrim lobby. MonsterDFace hops into the game without having any idea what he was getting himself into when a member of his chat informed him that he’s in a scrim lobby. Read More: Issues with Winter Royale and how they affect competitive Fortnite | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 56 – “I accidentally queued into a scrim lobby,” says MonsterDFace about the situation. “Basically, the lobby we queued into was Tfue’s. What he does is host these scrim lobbies where people go in and get sweaty.” Rather than stick to the competitive meta of playing very defensive, the duo decides to run head first into the action at every turn, leaving a trail of bodies in their wake. After landing in Retail Row and picking up a handful of the kill, the pair rotates around the map and end up right in the middle of one of the final circles. With only five players left in the game, both MonsterDFace and ‘Connoreo’ were taken out, leaving the duo with a third-place finish and 18 kills. Both seemed to take it in good fun, however, simply laughing at the fact that they managed to end up in a scrim game and finish with almost 20 kills, an impressive feat in a scrim environment.

  • Fortnite fighting stream snipers with new Streamer Mode features ahead of World Cup – Dexerto

Fortnite fighting stream snipers with new Streamer Mode features ahead of World Cup While Fortnite currently has a Streamer Mode, it leaves a lot to be desired. Luckily, Epic Games recently detailed some of the changes that are coming soon to the mode. The Fortnite World Cup is fast approaching and it looks like Epic Games will be trying some new things with the Streamer Mode to make things as fair as possible for those that will be streaming their matches. Fortnite implemented a Streamer Mode several seasons ago but many players still have to hide their screens to prevent players from sniping lobbies. With the changes Epic Games plans on adding in a future update, it looks like it’s not going to matter all that much if stream snipers are able to get into the same lobby since new features will change the skin a streamer is wearing to prevent any intrusions from crafty snipers. The feature was first suggested by a player on Reddit in a thread that was looking for ways to improve on the mode. It was then confirmed by an Epic Games employee that the feature is in development currently but it missed the v8.30 release window. A small change like this would make a huge difference to streamers as they will have less to worry about from stream snipers since the snipers will no longer know who’s who. With a competitive game, players will take any edge they can get and not having players purposely land near you in order to get a quick, cheap kill will go a long way to making Fortnite more balanced for all players. The timing of this update is excellent for those looking to compete in the Fortnite World Cup as it will allow for streamers to play the game as they normally would and hopefully not get flooded by tons of players all contesting their drop. While it hasn’t been confirmed when it will release, it would certainly be ideal for Epic Games to get this update pushed out by the start of the World Cup to make things as fair as possible for all players. 4/16/2019 Update New streamer mode option thing: “”Anonymous Mode”” “”Alters your cosmetic loadout that will appear for opponents during a match. You will still appear as your selected cosmetics to yourself and teammates.””— Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite Leaks & News (@lucas7yoshi_) April 16, 2019 Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi revealed the name of this new feature is called Anonymous Mode. He has this description to go with it, presumably from what will be said in the patch notes. “Alters your cosmetic loadout that will appear for opponents during a match. You will still appear as your selected cosmetics to yourself and teammates.

  • Fortnite Streamer Mongraal Demonstrates how Playing Aggressively can Pay Off – Dexerto

Fortnite Streamer Mongraal Demonstrates how Playing Aggressively can Pay Off Team Secret’s Mongraal showed off his gaming prowess with some seriously intense Fortnite play. Mongraal is a professional gamer for a reason. During one of his Twitch streams, he illustrated his strategy for success in the world’s most popular Battle Royale title. Unlike other strategies, which would have players play slowly and methodically, Mongraal suggested competitors use aggression to tip the scale of battle in their favor. “How to play super aggressive? Just rush everyone.” Mongraal backed up his words with action, running right up to an opponent and trapping them inside their own fort with more walls. He dispatched the player with ease, then went on to find another enemy. “Never be scared to engage. Just look at these guys in here. They think they’re safe? Boom, they’re trapped.” Mongraal’s skill spoke for itself. His aggressive building and entrapment of other players proved a monumental help to his chat, who were collectively asking for tips to help them improve. This strategy contrasts with other methods that advise players to take things slow and steady. Waiting out the battle and hugging the circles’ edges won’t always assure players experience, nor impressive kill-death ratios: rather, going all-in and being hyper-aware of one’s surroundings appears to be a decent way to deal damage. Of course, not every Fortniter has Mongraal’s aiming prowess, nor building strategies. While players shouldn’t expect major success on the outset when using this method, practice makes perfect – as always.

  • Fortnite Streamer LoserFruit Rages After a Fake TSM Myth Stream Snipes Her – Dexerto

Fortnite Streamer LoserFruit Rages After a Fake TSM Myth Stream Snipes Her If we’re being honest, there are few things better than watching a streamer lose their mind in pure blind rage. That’s exactly what happened to a Twitch partner, LoserFruit, who became incredibly frustrated that she was repeatedly being killed by a notorious stream sniper. Following around streamers and attempting to kill them by viewing their location has become a more widespread problem since the battle royale genre became popular. High profile personalities such as Shroud, TFUE and Dr DisRespect have all had their fair share of interactions with stream snipers, but other than putting on a long delay in game, and as a result slowing down viewer interaction, there isn’t much of a solution. For most, the option of putting on a delay could have serious consequences on viewership, so they just have to try and cope the best they can. That’s why you can understand why LoserFruit reacted like she did in the clip below. A glitched account using a fake TSM Myth name took her down just north of Shobby Shores, and she eventually snapped, before reporting the user. “Oh my god. FUCK OFF. Honestly, fuck off. I am done, you snipe me all the time, and why do you have to do this? You shoot me in the face because you think you’re really fucking smart or something like that? Fuck off, I’ve got evidence, say goodbye to your account you stupid fricking Skeleton skin, say goodbye to all that shit. Say goodbye!”

  • Fortnite streamer details how to be more effective with the Heavy AR – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer details how to be more effective with the Heavy AR Epic GamesTo be successful in Fortnite, a player needs to know how to builder smarter and aim better than their opponents, and a new AK tip would go far to helping people with the latter. Fortnite’s Season 7 ushered in a ton of changes and features to the game, one of which being an update that changed how one of the game’s most powerful weapons can be aimed. YouTuber ‘Liftie’ demonstrated how the latest patch affected the ‘bloom’ of the reticule after firing or jumping with various Assault Rifles, and comes to the conclusion that tapping while hipfiring is much more accurate with the Heavy Rifle above all other types. “In this patch, when you hipfire with the [Heavy AR], the bloom shrinks a lot faster,” Liftie said. “What you want to do [is time it so that the bloom shrinks] every time that you fire. So that will be at about 60% the fire rate of full spray.” The video shows him cycling through the guns to provide a sample of how large the reticule grows with every jump, the growth from the Heavy AR was borderline negligible. He goes on to show him tapping away while hipfiring at an opponent from varying distances and shows the usability of the AK even when in midair. He says that a full spray is not ideal with the weapon, but tapping with the weapon increases its viability in most scenarios.

  • Fortnite streamer encounters major shotgun bug in the middle of a match – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer encounters major shotgun bug in the middle of a match After experencing what appeared to be a pretty major bug during a match, Twitch streamer and professional Fortnite player Sypher ‘SypherPK’ Ali went back to examine the footage and discovered that the bug was indeed real. The bug happened while Ali was using the Pump Shotgun, a weapon that saw major changes in an update on November 21. November’s changes saw the Pump get the damage it puts out increased, but the range of the weapon decreased, but SypherPK’s problem is that his Shotgun seems to do no damage at all. As he’s facing off with an enemy player, SypherPK explains how he engages with his foe and shows that after switching to the pump his shot seems to not have registered, even though his ammunition is missing and the hit markers appeared on the screen. SypherPK’s shot doesn’t even do any damage to the enemy player, and when he switches back to his Pump Shotgun, the missing round is somehow back. Can we PLEASE talk about this HUGE problem in Fortnite? Watch this video. pic.twitter.com/HrFvr5j3Qj — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) December 13, 2018 “This is very confusing,” the streamer told viewers. “Am I being punished for swapping too fast?” It seems that his switching between editing and firing his weapon so quick caused his shot to somehow not register despite showing hit markers. Epic Games has seen its fair share of Fortnite controversy over the past week after the introduction of the Infinity Blade just before a major tournament, and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage’s insane triple-kill shows just how powerful the Hand Cannon can be – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage’s insane triple-kill shows just how powerful the Hand Cannon can be CouRage / Epic GamesIt’s no secret that the Hand Cannon, when used properly and with good aim, is one of the most powerful weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale. But just how powerful is it? Because it’s not commonly seen in most players’ preferred inventories, the potential for the weapon is often never truly understood. One player who is very confident in the Hand Cannon and its power is popular Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop. Playing a Squads match during one of his live-streams, CouRage went on an impressive sequence of eliminations while playing with a team that also featured Ninja, FaZe Clan’s Cloak, and Team Liquid’s Chap. Coming up against a team of three enemy players, the streamer pulled out the purple Epic version of the Hand Cannon and put on a show. It’s hard to put a finger on what is more remarkable about that clip – the fact that CouRage only needed three shots to eliminate the three opponents, or that he got the last elimination on target that was falling quickly through the air. Regardless, one thing that is clear is the fact that the Hand Cannon can be a very deadly option, and as CouRage displayed in that triple-kill, it can be used to easily mow down enemy players from medium to long range. The weapon comes in two rarities – Epic and Legendary – both of which have 75+ base damage, 150+ structure damage, 2.1- reload speed, and a 0.8 fire rate. However. the Hand Cannon may not be the best choice for every player; just as with Sniper Rifles and other longer ranged weapons, using it effectively requires good aim and a strong understanding of how bullets travel in Fortnite. But players who have mastered those aspects of the game are sure to find that the Hand Cannon is an option worth going with every time.

  • Fortnite streamer demonstrates the best counter to a X-4 Stormwing – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer demonstrates the best counter to a X-4 Stormwing HighDistortion / Epic GamesFortnite’s skies have been littered with dogfights and planes looking to pick off grounded players, so one streamer took matters into his own hands to combat the aerial trend. Since the release of Season 7 on December 6, Fortnite has taken the battle to the sky with the release of the X-4 Stormwing, which has caused many players to find ways to stand up to their winged foes from the ground. In a clip from TSM’s HighDistortion, he and his group were looting at Retail Row when he hears a plane above them, leading him to decide that the best thing to do is go hunting for pilots. When he makes his way onto the roof, the sky is alive with planes far and near. “There’s an airplane above us,” he said. “It looks like Battlefield right now.” HighDistortion took out his Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle and started tracking a plane that seemed to be at the tail-end of a dogfight. The rifle has 100% accuracy when scoped, so it wasn’t the worst theory to put into practice. Of the eight shots he took, seven landed, downing two players who were occupying the same plane. Lining up the shot was no small feat, and hitting the players in mid-flight made the play even harder. But as he showed, people on foot have counterplays to make if the sky is too crowded for comfort. The v7.00 update for Fortnite has unleashed all kinds of chaos on the battlegrounds and more types of these plays are bound to appear.

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage thinks Season 7 is ONE change away from being the best so far – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage thinks Season 7 is ONE change away from being the best so far Considering that we are less than halfway through Season 7, the jury is still out on where exactly it will rank in terms of best or worst seasons in Fortnite Battle Royale. This season has added, removed, and adjusted a lot of things in the game and some of the changes have been positively received while others not so much. One player who is a firm believer in Season 7’s potential is prominent Fortnite streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who believes that Epic Games are just one more change away from actually making this season’s meta the best in the game’s history. He contends that the biggest obstacle to making Season 7 a lasting success is the X-4 Stormwing plane, which was introduced at the start of the season on December 6. “I TRULY, in my heart, believe that if planes are fixed then the meta in Season 7 of Fortnite is the 100% best we’ve had yet,” he tweeted, “ARs are good, SMGs are good, shotguns are good. Sword is long gone. Maybe tweak stack count of Dynamite. Fix the planes equals beautiful meta.” Many, like CouRage, believe that the Stormwing should suffer the same fate that the highly controversial Infinity Blade sword item was subjected to, which is to vault it for the foreseeable future. “It’s December 27th, 2018. I’ve finally had enough of the planes in Fortnite,” CouRage went on to say. “It’s laughable that they can still fly direct through builds and launch you 500 feet with zero repercussion for the pilot/passenger. It’s the least competitive addition to Fortnite yet. Please Epic fix it.” December 27th, 2018: I’ve finally had enough of the planes in Fortnite. It’s laughable that they can still fly direct through builds and launch you 500 feet with ZERO repercussion for the pilot/passenger. It’s the least competitive addition to Fortnite yet. PLEASE Epic fix it. — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 28, 2018 Judging by past history, it’s hard to tell whether Epic will ultimately rid the planes from the default core modes of Fortnite or just continue to nerf them until the naysayers are content. While the Infinity Blade was vaulted after days of relentless backlash, the same feedback was given for the Mounted Turret, but the developers just kept nerfing it and left it in the game.

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage hilariously loses his mind as he tries FaZe Cizzorz’s famous ‘Death Run’ obstacle course – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage hilariously loses his mind as he tries FaZe Cizzorz’s famous ‘Death Run’ obstacle course FaZe Cizzorz’s famous ‘Death Run’ obstacle course in Fortnite Battle Royale has driven many to the brink of insanity, and its latest victim is popular Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop. With so many prominent Fortnite pro players and content creators trying their hand at the impossibly difficult course, CouRage felt that the time was right for him to attempt to conquer the challenge. The experience began comfortably for the streamer, who began boasting about how easy the course was for him after he quickly completed the first of nine levels. However, “easy” turned to “hard” then to “dumb” in a matter of moments as he realized just how difficult the course actually became once he passed the early stages. As he repeatedly failed to make routine jumps and got caught in trap after trap, the frustration began to build and his reactions became more and more desperate and ridiculous. For example, there was a moment when his father came into the room and, upon seeing his son’s failures, comically remarked “it’s almost as bad as 0-15,” alluding to CouRage’s infamous 0-15 performance during a wager match in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Others present in the chat at the time included the course’s creator Cizzorz, as well as Ninja, who kept donating bits and poking fun at CouRage’s struggles. While watching someone struggle on that course may be funny, actually trying to beat it can be a horrible experience, especially because the levels get progressively harder and to the point where it almost seems impossible. The course is not impossible, however, as two players have managed to beat it at incredible speeds, including the current record holder who completed it in under five minutes. With so many in the community trying their hand at the Death Run, Cizzorz has given players until the start of the new year to try and beat the current time, and the one who holds the fastest completion time will win a cash prize.

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage knows how Epic Games can balance Mounted Turrets – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage knows how Epic Games can balance Mounted Turrets It’s no secret that the majority of the Fortnite community wants to see Mounted Turrets either heavily nerfed or removed from the game. The item has quickly become one of the most overpowered additions in the history of the game, and the bane of almost every player’s existence. Popular Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who specializes in playing and casting Fortnite, has come up with a set of nerfs that Epic Games can administer to the turrets to make them more balanced. In a post he put out on Twitter, CouRage contends that Epic should change the max quantity of turrets that players can carry to one so that two can’t be placed next to each other to avoid the cooldown period. He also proposes that the turrets should be decreased in overall size, which would further expose the player’s head and body and open them up for counterfire. The final nerf that he suggests is establishing a setup time for the turret, so that players will have to wait a brief moment while their turret activates. This would prevent players who are in the middle of a gunfight or heated engagement from suddenly dropping it down and instantly begin firing. A clever Fortnite fan may have found a way to improve the Mounted TurretWhile no one knows what will eventually happen with the turrets, it’s inevitable that something will eventually have to be done, and many are hoping that Epic decide to just vault the item rather than experiment with it any further.

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage hilariously loses his mind after getting destroyed in end-game gunfight – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage hilariously loses his mind after getting destroyed in end-game gunfight Sometimes skill doesn’t purely determine the outcome of matches in Fortnite Battle Royale, as popular streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop was strongly reminded of while playing. While live-streaming the game on November 26, CouRage encountered an in-game experience that he likely not going to forget anytime soon. Finding himself in an end-game situation with just one other enemy player left alive, the streamer expertly placed himself in a position where he was most likely to succeed. He established high ground position, giving him an advantage over the opponent, while also setting down two of the overpowered Mounted Turrets, which is a good way to overcome the cooldown period of each Turret. CouRage’s position and set up were good enough that, combined with his strong skill, most would bet money that he was going to win the match. His opponent however had a totally different outcome in mind as the two engaged in their gunfight. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA ah HAhshqwdjhqpdjhnqopdhqpiodj[qW pic.twitter.com/PxPpqJSve9 — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) November 26, 2018 Despite his strong position, despite his two Mounted Turrets, despite having already weakened the player with an expertly placed shotgun blast, everything was turned on its head by a single incredible snipe. And by everything we really mean everything, as even CouRage hilariously tumbled to the ground at his streaming setup, overwhelmed by the disbelief and shock that he had just been on the wrong end of an absolutely nasty shot. What adds insult to injury was that the enemy player, appropriately named ‘Maneatingpillow,’ was left with just one health point at the end, which the streamer pointed out by yelling “ONE?!” from his knees.

  • Fortnite streamer Cizzorz announces $5,000 competition for his impossible DeathRun 2.0 obstacle course – video, rules, access code – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer Cizzorz announces $5,000 competition for his impossible DeathRun 2.0 obstacle course – video, rules, access code Popular FaZe Clan content creator Cizzorz is back at it again, releasing another impossible looking obstacle course in Fortnite Battle Royale. Calling it DeathRun 2.0, this new obstacle course is the sequel and successor to the first version of the DeathRun, which took the Fortnite community by storm and became the talk of the town during December. These DeathRuns are extremely challenging in-game courses that Cizzorz has developed using the Creative mode in Fortnite. They feature levels upon levels of lethal traps, narrow ledges, treacherous falls, and pretty much everything else in the game that can stop you from advancing. Cizzorz officially revealed his newest version on January 11, with a followup video coming on January 15 showing him completing a full walk-through of all 14 levels. He had actually completed creating the course on January 6 but could not publish it for others to try due to a bug that was affecting traps, which everyone knows are the most important aspect of the DeathRun. Prior to its release, an unfortunate series of events caused serious damage to the DeathRun 2.0, wasting away all of the hard work, time, and dedication that Cizzorz had put in. According to a tweet, several players uncovered the island code early and managed to gain access to the course, deleting several levels and then leaking out the code. Luckily for everyone else, Cizzorz’s resolve was not weakened and he rebuilt the levels, making them even harder than their previous versions. Time to rebuild 2.0 today :skin-tone-2::right_bicep::skin-tone-2::triumph: For those of you who don’t know a few randoms were able to join us while practicing the Deathrun, and even though settings were set to “edit permissions: only me” I guess there was a bug and people were able to end up deleting a few levels 🙁 — FaZe Cizzorz (@cizzorz) January 6, 2019 The Code also got leaked so there goes the hype behind announcing it, lesson learned for 3.0!! All good though, I’m boutta make it that much tougher :smiling_imp: — FaZe Cizzorz (@cizzorz) January 6, 2019 As with the first DeathRun, this 2.0 version will also feature in a competition hosted and funded by Cizzorz, which will require players to try and complete the course in the shortest amount of time they can. The prize money is currently set at $5,000, and it looks like the cash will be split accordingly between the first, second, and third best times. The rules for completing this challenge are simple: No taking items from Level to Level (ie: using Impulse Grenades from Level 5 on Level 6) – No using respawn invincibility to your advantage – Time starts when leaving the FRONT player spawn and stops when you land on the Llama – As for how to actually try out the course, players can assess the DeathRun 2.0 by inputting this code in the Creative mode: 6509-1069-6161

  • Fortnite streamer CouRage explains why he’s struggling to have fun streaming the game – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer CouRage explains why he’s struggling to have fun streaming the game Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop is one of the most recognizable names in the Fortnite Battle Royale community, but he is very much not much a fan of the game in its current state. Despite his great success as a Fortnite content creator, CouRage has revealed that he’s finding it difficult to enjoy playing and streaming the game at the moment. This change of heart has been influenced by the recent changes that have been made in Fortnite, especially the currently ongoing Ice Storm event that has covered the map in snow, fog, and zombie-like Ice Legion monsters. “Man, I just want to play non-foggy Fortnite solos without loud Zombies pushing me,” he tweeted. “Really struggling to be my normal self when I’m just not having much fun.” Read More: How to best destroy Ranged Ice Fiends and Golden Ice Brutes | Ice Storm challenge locations – This has gotten to the point of him sometimes even choosing to play other games on stream until the Fortnite map returns to its pre-Ice Storm state. Man…I just want to play non-foggy Fortnite solos without loud zombies pushing me. Really struggling to be my normal self when I’m just not having much fun. Expect more CS content this week until the game returns to normal 🙁 Sorry guys. — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) January 21, 2019 Calling the situation “just a real shame,” CouRage is clearly being affected by the quality of Fortnite’s current gameplay, and is unable to maintain his usually entertaining and humorous persona while streaming the game. He’s not the only one put off by the presence of the zombie creatures on the map; many other prominent content creators and pro players have expressed their distaste, even going back to the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event. Despite all of the negative feedback, even from back then, Epic Games surprisingly decided to bring back the zombies, although the developers have made it clear that their job is not to appease the top of the Fortnite food chain. By most accounts, CouRage will likely not look back at a lot of Season 7 with fondness, as he has not been a fan of many of the additions and changes made this season. He was very vocal in expressing his contentions with the Infinity Blade sword when it was first added, and he has frequently lobbied Epic to remove the X-4 Stormwing planes from the default core modes. Now the Ice Storm has been added to that list of negatives, and it’s caused him to have had enough of Fortnite for now.

  • Fortnite streamer becomes second ever to hit 100K eliminations, and it’s not Ninja – Dexerto

Fortnite streamer becomes second ever to hit 100K eliminations, and it’s not Ninja The 100,000 elimination mark in Fortnite Battle Royale has been surpassed for only the second time ever, and the first time by a console player so far. Fortnite streamer ‘Ship,’ whose official Epic Games account name is ‘Shipings,’ reached the mark on January 31 after months and months of hard work and dedication. He currently sits at 101,003 eliminations, according to popular statistics database Fortnite Tracker, which is good enough for second behind Team SoloMid streamer ‘HighDistortion.’ While HD may be first overall, Ship is far and ahead the first when it comes to console players, as he’s accumulated all of his stats while primarily playing on the Xbox One. It’s also worth noting that he has almost the same amount of eliminations as HD, despite having played nearly 800 matches less overall. His Season 7 accomplishments are even more remarkable, as he’s managed to reach a 10.26 K/D, a 38% win rate, and 1208 Victory Royales, all while getting 20,225 eliminations so far. ultimately gave up his mantle to HighDistortion, who became the first to eclipse the six-digit mark.Still, many believed it would have been Ninja who would hit 100K right after him, but the celebrity gamer is currently third with 98,680 eliminations and has not been playing much lately to pad his stats.
