Fortnite streamer who attacked pregnant partner escapes jail sentence Fortnite streamer Luke ‘MrDeadMoth’ Munday, who assaulted his pregnant partner while streaming the battle royale game on Twitch has escaped a jail sentence, after claiming his actions were made in “excessive self-defense.” The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to physically assaulting his former partner just out of frame during one of his broadcasts in December 2018. Munday’s partner, who was heavily pregnant with their third child, repeatedly asked him to stop his broadcast and come to dinner, distracting him from the game. He then left his desk, and moved out of camera-shot, where she and at least one child could be heard yelling and screaming while he spoke. He returned to his desk momentarily, before standing up a second time and attacking his partner, again out of frame. She threw objects at him, before Munday struck her across the left side of her face, and then pushed her to the ground. Munday, who his lawyer Steven Mercael argued was a “loving, caring person with no history of domestic violence,” was sentenced to a 14-month community corrections order at Picton Local Court on Wednesday morning, as reported by the ABC. Mr. Mercael argued that the former Telstra employee, who lost his job and is reportedly unemployed “because of media coverage,” was acting in “excessive self-defense,” and said Munday had been subject to domestic violence himself. The Sydney local’s lawyer added that this ongoing abuse from partner Grace Campbell caused the streamer to “snap.” Magistrate Mark Douglass recorded the conviction, added a good behavior condition as part of the sentencing, and revealed that he would have sent Munday to jail for an extended period of time “if not for submissions made on his behalf.” He also directed his closing statement towards Munday, and reminded him that he had assaulted his pregnant partner in clear view of his two children. “There’s no need to do great research to find that children who witness domestic violence struggle,” he added when handing down the sentencing. “It has a real impact on them. The response was not appropriate, unlawful, and violent.” Following the sentencing, Mr. Mercael added that Munday was “remorseful” for his actions, and told the court that the Fortnite streamer had been paying for accommodation for his ex-partner and children. “He’s disgusted with his behavior, he’s ashamed,” his lawyer said. “It is irresponsible behavior. He takes complete responsibility for what occurred. He sobbed, and wept when he saw messages of abuse from the public.” Following Munday’s allegations that he too had been assaulted, which sparked his violent on-stream outburst, NSW Police investigated his partner, Ms. Campbell. She has now also been charged with common assault. “The woman allegedly assaulted the man, and he sustained minor injuries,” according to a statement by NSW Police last week. It is alleged the main assault from Ms. Campbell came when she threw a kettle at Munday. Ms. Campbell was charged with two counts of common assault, domestic violence assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and contravening a domestic AVO. She was granted bail, and must regularly report to Campbelltown police station. Mr. Munday has been permanently banned from streaming on Twitch since December 2018, and is unlikely to have his restrictions lifted by the broadcasting platform following his sentencing. Fortnite streamer who attacked pregnant partner during Twitch broadcast pleads guilty to assault Fortnite streamer Luke ‘MrDeadMoth’ Munday has pleaded guilty to common assault after he attacked his pregnant partner in December 2018 during a livestream. The Australian was streaming on his Twitch channel in December 2018 when he broadcasted himself physically assaulting his pregnant partner just out of frame of his webcam during a heated row. His partner, who was pregnant with their third child at that time, angered the streamer after trying to divert his attention away from the game, leading to Munday leaving his desk and apparently hitting her. Fortunately, she suffered no serious injuries, but was left shaken by the incident. Feature Image – The Daily Telegraph Twitch streamer MrDeadMoth hits his wife with domestic abuse live on stream. According to @Cylints the wife is okay and the streamer has been arrested. https://t.co/BOvEucP5io — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) December 9, 2018 In the immediate aftermath, Munday was banned on Twitch for 14 days and was subject of intense criticism online due to his inexcusable actions. Nevertheless, once his ban was over, he continued to stream, leading to even more scrutiny from the online community. Read More: Fortnite: All teams for first official trios tournament ft. Tfue, Mongraal, NICKMERCS, more – Munday’s partner – Claire Campbell – filed for an Apprehended Violence Order after the attack, which would have prevented the streamer from having contact with his partner or their children. The 26-year-old appeared at court in Sydney on Monday, July 8, according to ABC, and pleaded guilty to common assault stating to police: “I just held her down because I wanted her to stop.” Furthermore, the statement reveals the attack took place in direct view of Munday’s two young children, who witnessed the incident in full. Back in 2011, he was charged with malicious damage, but the offences were not domestic related. Munday is believed to had showed remorse for his actions and will be sentenced on August 26. In New South Wales the maximum penalty for this offence is 24 months imprisonment and a fine of $5,500. However, if deemed suitable by the court, offenders could face even more time behind bars.

Fortnite stream sniper hunts down DrLupo and slaps him with Will Smith skin – Dexerto
Fortnite stream sniper hunts down DrLupo and slaps him with Will Smith skin Epic Games / DrLupo, TwitchFortnite stream snipers have started to get quite crafty these days, and after tracking down Twitch streamer DrLupo, they used the game’s Will Smith skin to slap him around. Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock has taken over the internet and become a viral meme since the Oscars 2022 show happened this past weekend. In a must-see moment of television, a joke made toward Jada Pinkett Smith sparked the most shocking response from her husband. He apologized soon after during his Oscars acceptance speech, stating his behavior was “unacceptable.” With that being said, it’s become a meme people just can’t get enough of. Captioned across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook millions of times already, it was only a matter of time before Fortnite players put the Will Smith skin to good use. DrLupo slapped by Fortnite stream sniper in Bad Boys skin Sadly for DrLupo, he’s probably the first of many to be hunted down by a Bad Boys skin. The outfit was designed to represent Mike Lowrey, a character Will Smith is famous for playing, making it the perfect fit for a slapping prank in-game. A short video posted by a user called reapersground shows the perspective of the high-profile creator versus that of his enemy stream sniper. Watching Lupo’s stream on one screen and chasing him on another, it didn’t take long for the player to slap the streamer across the face. He said: “That was Will Smith and he tried to punch me,” trying to contain his laughter. “Oh my God, I got punched by Will Smith.” The stream sniper didn’t get the last laugh, though, as the streaming star blasted a few bullets into them soon after, leading to elimination.

Fortnite Stranger Things crossover leak reveals cosmetics and audio – Dexerto
Fortnite Stranger Things crossover leak reveals cosmetics and audio Epic games / NetflixAmerican TV series, Fortnite collaboration after data miners found leaked files hinting at the crossover. Ever since the massive collaboration between Marvel Studios and Epic Games, which saw the introduction of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet to Fortnite for a limited time mode, fans have been calling for more and more Movie and TV show crossovers with the battle royale game. The popular Netflix show, Stranger Things, is looking like it may be next to feature in the game, as files were found suggesting that new skins and objects related to TV series were found in the data files. The Fortnite x Marvel Thanos crossover was one of the first and most successful collaborations According to data miner “Lucas7yoshi” it appears as if a full cosmetic Stranger Things set is planned to be released to players in a future update by Epic Games after recent leaks. The tag name on the first set of cosmetic files about in-game objects was: “Cosmetics.Set.WeirdObjects,” the files found also contain a “Stranger Things” display name in the image within the data, indicating that the files for the collaboration have apparently already been added to Fortnite. The sound files play a similar noise to the portals which are currently in Wailing Woods, with many fans expecting that they will play a part in the upcoming collaboration, potentially allowing players to travel to the “Upside-Down,” which was a parallel universe seen within the Stranger Things series. Many fans of Stranger Things were also anticipating the addition of a Demogorgon to Fortnite whether it would be introduced as a character or as part of the cosmetic set, however there’s no known plans to include them as of now. It is worth noting that these files are were leaked by data miners and Epic Games may decide to alter or remove some of the content before making it public to the player base.

Fortnite x Stranger Things event – Portals, LTM, everything we know so far – Dexerto
Fortnite x Stranger Things event – Portals, LTM, everything we know so far Netflix / Epic GamesThe latest Fortnite special event is officially here, with the popular battle royale title teaming up with Netflix hit Stranger Things to bring elements from the supernatural show to the game. Leaked skins have already been revealed. Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror show developed and produced by Netflix, which sees the sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana become a hotbed for the dark and unknown, with portals to the strange ‘Upside Down’ dimension and vicious creature called the Demogorgon wreaking havoc. Now, it seems like the Fortnite island will be the next location to suffer from these unnatural occurrences, with a number of portals appearing on the map which players have already spotted. What have players found in Fortnite? Players have spotted the iconic gates or portals from Stranger Things on the Fortnite map, with a number of them popping up in the Mega Mall area. In the show, the portals take Eleven and the crew to the Upside Down realm, but in the game it appears that they just teleport players to other gates, and don’t take them to a different dimension – at least not yet. Eagle-eyed players noticed that the Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlour from the show was included as part of the Mega Mall location when it was added at the start of Season 9, so this crossover shouldn’t come as too big a surprise. What is coming as part of the Fortnite x Stranger Things event? While Netflix officially confirmed that the event would be taking place back in June, little information about what we can expect from this limited-time crossover has been officially released by either party. Leaks from the game’s files reveal that the portals aren’t the only thing players can expect to see during this event, with a number of objects labelled as “Weird” in the v9.20 update – although what those will turn out to be remains unknown. Stranger Things Fortnite cosmetics Many fans are excited at the possibility of a Demogorgon making an appearance in the game, or the possibility that the portals will take players to a Fortnite-specific version of the Upside Down, but none of this has been confirmed. Lines of code relating to special Stranger Things cosmetics were also found and now it looks like both the Demogorgon and Chief Hopper characters will have their very own skins – if potentially leaked information is to be believed. Stranger Things Set :eyes:@HappyPower @FortniteINTEL @Fortnite_BR @ShiinaBR @TheCampingRush pic.twitter.com/nfAXIgusZ3 — Lucas7yoshi // Fortnite Leaks/News (@Lucas7yoshi) June 18, 2019 Images of the two skins, as seen below, were posted to Twitter by serial Fortnite leaker @FortTory. What appears to be two screenshots from the game might be our first-look at Stranger Things cosmetics, but they’re yet to be confirmed by Epic Games. Will there be a Limited Time Mode [LTM] for Stranger Things? Again, there is no confirmation that there will be a special Stranger Things LTM, but based on other partnerships that Epic Games have formed with media giants such as the Avengers franchise or the John Wick movies, it seems extremely likely that there will be. It’s possible that the LTM will drop in line with the release of the third season of Stranger Things on July 4, with fans hoping they’ll be transported to a special Upside Down version of the map. Fortnite’s new Storm Scout Sniper Rifle reportedly disabled for World Cup Finals – Dexerto
Fortnite’s new Storm Scout Sniper Rifle reportedly disabled for World Cup Finals Epic GamesReports have surfaced that Epic Games plan on disabling the new Storm Scout Sniper Rifle for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup Finals. The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle was added in Fortnite on July 23, as part of the v9.41 Content Update, the final patch before this weekend’s World Cup Finals. However, according to Team Atlantis professional Fortnite player mitr0, the new weapon will not be featuring in the $30 million competition. Shortly after the v9.41 update went live, mitr0 posted a screenshot of what appeared to be a Discord message posted by an Epic employee, giving qualified players notice that they would not be able to use the new sniper in either the Solos or Duos tournaments. “As a heads up – Storm Scout Sniper, which released today, will be off for World Cup Solo/Duo,” the post read. Mitr0, of course, will be competing in the World Cup Finals after having qualified for the Duos event with his longtime partner Mongraal, who recently completed a move to FaZe Clan from Team Secret. Thus, the Atlantis pro would definitely be included in any Discord channels exclusive to qualified players and would be privy to such information. However, Epic have not yet officially announced their decision to disable the new weapon to the public, so there is still a highly-unlikely chance that it could be reversed. Why is the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle being disabled? While we may never be given an actual reason for why Epic are deciding to keep the new weapon out of the World Cup, the most probable answer is because the gun is too powerful. In addition to boasting a powerful damage profile, it also comes equipped with a scope that shows upcoming storm circle before they are revealed on the game’s mini-map. Read More: Fortnite World Cup cheater XXiF raises suspicions of ‘teaming’ again during trios tournament – With the World Cup only a few days away, the Storm Scout had the potential of seriously affecting the competitive meta, so Epic are taking the safe route by simply keeping the weapon out of contention. Fortnite x Stranger Things collab leak reveals Eleven skin and more – Dexerto
Fortnite x Stranger Things collab leak reveals Eleven skin and more Netflix, Epic GamesAccording to leaks, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG will introduce Stranger Things collab content such as an Eleven skin and more. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG officially goes live on Friday, November 3. As the name of the season suggests, the new update will let players take a trip down memory lane, with the Chapter 1 Season 5 map returning. The eagerly-anticipated map return also promises classic POIs like Tilted Towers will once more see the light of day in Fortnite. Of course, Epic Games has yet to reveal all of its cards, meaning fans should anticipate a fair few surprises. One surprise, in particular, seems to have slipped through the cracks, however. Fortnite leak teases Stranger Things collaboration Two reputable Fortnite leakers – iFireMonkey and BarbieharpFN – have outed details about a supposed collab involving the hit Netflix series. According to information shared by the former, Chapter 4 Season OG will introduce a Stranger Things crossover, complete with an Eleven skin, Hopper’s Cabin Diorama backbling, and Waffle Extravaganza backbling. Two separate pickaxes are also on the way – one modeled after Steve’s bat, the other inspired by Eddie’s spear. Finally, a Telekinetic Power Breakfast emote will also hit the game during Season OG. There’s a bit of confusion, though. While iFireMonkey makes no mention of a Steve Harrington skin, the BarbieharpFN post claims the beloved Stranger Things character will additionally feature in the lineup. As always, leaks and rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Once Epic Games has released its full plans for the season, more concrete details about the supposed Fortnite and Stranger Things collaboration may surface. Fortnite Storm Scout Sniper Rifle officially coming soon – Dexerto
Fortnite Storm Scout Sniper Rifle officially coming soon After a leak revealed the weapon’s upcoming arrival, the Fortnite in-game news feed has now confirmed the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle is coming soon to the game. Fortnite is always looking for new ways to keep the game feeling fresh and the latest example of that is this new sniper rifle that could give players a serious competitive edge. A variety of long-range weapons have already been available in Fortnite in one way or another, such as the bolt-action, semi-auto, suppressed, Hunting Rifle and now this Storm Scout, but this isn’t just an ordinary rifle. Storm sniper gun thing in-game has 100% accuracy when no scoping the storm part of it is a bit wack cause of the fact its on creative pic.twitter.com/zkPPiweaLp — Lucas7yoshi // Fortnite Leaks/News (@Lucas7yoshi) July 17, 2019 The Storm Scout Sniper Rifle, originally found in the v9.40 files, will give players the knowledge of where the storm is moving to next, allowing you to plan your next move well ahead of time. This rifle’s in-game description reads “Knowledge is power. Stay ahead of the competition with this weather-tracking sniper rifle,” which seemingly backs up what has already been leaked about the gun. Having the knowledge of where the storm will be moving to will be a very important thing to know in late-game scenarios, where the storm is just as dangerous as other players. According to Storm Shield One, this new sniper will come in both the Epic and Legendary rarities and won’t have the ability to one-shot players with no shields, as they do 81 and 85 damage to the body respectively. Will it be in the World Cup? We expect to see the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle enter the game in the coming days when Epic Games releases their weekly update, patch v9.50. Depending on its strength, we might see Epic Games disable it for the World Cup since it has the potential to shift the meta in a way that doesn’t give everyone a chance to adjust. The Fortnite World Cup Finals will take place between July 26-28, where a winner in Creative, Solos, and Duos will be crowned.

Fortnite’s player base and map designers have reached a new level of creativity when Epic Games introduced UEFN (also known as Creative 2.0). The Fortnite player base is loving the new features, which include returning islands from Chapter 1 and maps inspired by other games (such as Mario Kart). Players are flocking to Fortnite in droves now that UEFN-made maps may be used for XP farming. These maps are created by amateur designers, but five professional Fortnite players have developed an idea that will permanently alter the way UEFN maps are created. The streamers, SypherPK, Ninja, CourageJD, Nickmercs, and TimTheTatman, have pooled the resources of UEFN to build the games of the future for the Battle Royale genre. All the details of the forthcoming Project V are laid out here. SypherPK, Ninja and more join to create Battle Royale Project V Project V is the first creator-led Fortnite experience that will be a brand new Battle Royale created entirely using UEFN. The five YouTubers (SypherPK, Ninja, CourageJD, Nickmercs, TimtheTatman) are teaming up with Sypher’s Oni Studios’ Fortnite division called Superjoy Studios to create the said experience that will launch in 2024. Over the course of the next year, the project’s five partners will pool their respective creative resources to guide the initiative, which will feature a staff of Fortnite Creative devs from Oni Studios. Everything added in Fortnite x Star Wars Day 2024 update – Dexerto
Everything added in Fortnite x Star Wars Day 2024 update Epic Games/LucasfilmA new Star Wars crossover is arriving in Fortnite on Star Wars Day 2024. Here’s all we know about the skins, Lightsabers, & more. Since 2019, Star Wars crossovers have been quite popular in Fortnite among both fans of the iconic franchise and players alike. The first-ever collab took place with the release of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker and added Rey and Finn skins with mythic Lightsaber weapons in the game. Ever since then, yearly Star Wars crossovers have taken place in Fortnite, bringing iconic characters like The Mandalorian, Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and more to the game. However, in 2024, for the fourth time, a new installment of a Star Wars collab has been announced and it right so happens ahead of Star Wars Day before the fourth of May. Everything new coming on Star Wars Day to Fortnite Despite being a returning crossover, Epic Games is looking to bring some fresh ideas to Fortnite with this iteration of Star Wars Day. Starting with Battle Royale, Chewbacca has been captured, and players must recuse him at the Imperial Roadblock. Once he’s free, he’ll reward you with the all-new Wookiee Bowcaster, although it can be found at Imperial Chests. Vader with his red Lightsaber will return to the island with his Stormtroopers in a Lambda Shuttle. Defeat Vader to get your hands on his mighty saber that gives you Sith Force abilities. Furthermore, new skins will make their way into the shop with Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, and the AWR Trooper Outfits joining the Fortnite island. Speaking of LEGO, the mode will be getting a hefty infusion of Star Wars content. A new island joins the player’s world, dubbed “Star Wars Island”, that’ll reward players who build it up with Lightsabers and more. A Star Wars LEGO event pass will debut, similar to the Avatar event. The Premium track will cost 1400 V-Bucks but will dish out 11 more rewards such as the Mos Eisley Marketplace Build. Finally, Fortnite Festival will be getting its fair share of Star Wars content. When the crossover arrives, a new area inspired by Mos Eisley’s famous Cantina will see players rock out on stage. Completing seven of the Star Wars quests will reward you with the Seven-string Hallikset Guitar for Festival usage. A new Jam Track will be added — Cantina Band for you to enjoy with your friends on the Mos Eisley stage. Alongside that the Endorian Drum Kit and Nalargon Keytar will be in the Fortnite Shop starting May 3 with the release of v29.40 There will also be a new Star Wars-themed car body for use in Rocket Racing, the Beskar Car Body, as part of a bundle coming with the next update. Fortnite Star Wars day leaks lead to fervent speculation – Dexerto
Fortnite Star Wars day leaks lead to fervent speculation Epic GamesAccording to recent rumors, Fortnite will be releasing another line of Star Wars cosmetics next month in honor of Star Wars day. Fans, however, have already begun to anticipate which characters may be included in the collaboration when it finally makes it into the game. Check out the newest information on the leak and what can players expect. Epic Games and Disney have worked together since the introduction of Marvel characters to Fortnite. Since then, Disney has been unrelenting in its efforts to incorporate its film and television brands into Fortnite’s huge metaverse. Players and franchise fans alike have relished playing in roles of their favourite fictional heroes and villains, from the Marvel universe to the Star Wars galaxy. With the release of Episode IX, however, Lightsabers were brought to Fortnite as a Mythic weapon for the first time, expanding the association between the two franchises. Since then, Star Wars characters such as The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, and many more have entered the Fortnite world and been donned by players in their pursuit of the fabled Victory Royale. The latest rumors indicate that another collaboration will add two more skins to the mix, and that it would likely arrive around Star Wars day, which is the Fourth of May each year. Fortnite leak hints at two cosmetic skins releasing on Star Wars day, fans react The next significant update to Fortnite might be released on May 4, 2023, when Star Wars day is celebrated by the pop culture fans, according to the most recent leak. The leak comes from ‘ShiinaBR,’ who is well recognized as a reliable source of leaks for the Fortnite community. After much speculation from fans before the current Chapter 4 Season 2 began, Shiina has confirmed in the leak that the update may include a new Star Wars collaboration. It’s reasonable to assume that characters from either The Mandalorian Season 3, which just wrapped up, or the upcoming Jedi: Survivor video game will soon be available as cosmetic items in the game. The same individual, however, revealed in another tweet that two skins with the codenames “PlotTwist” and “CirrusVine” are indeed cosmetic sets that include a Back Bling, Emote, Glider Wrap, and Pickaxe, and will be released in time for the annual Star Wars event in the game. Although the codenames don’t reveal much, the player community has begun to speculate on Twitter. The most popular theory suggests that the “PlotTwist” skin is actually Emperor Palpatine. Others, however, would prefer Anakin Skywalker’s skin, as the game already features legendary Star Wars characters like Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. It has also been speculated by users like ‘Alexmax_93’ that the next skins are based on characters like Bo-Katan from The Mandalorian and Cal Kestis from the Fallen Order video game series. Since Bo-Katan was the focus of the most recent season of the Disney+ Star Wars series, her popularity would appear to support this theory. If Epic follows the Gaming Legends model with these skins, users will be able to use Cal and BD-1 in conjunction with the release of the video game Jedi: Survivor. Despite the fact that these are only theories, the leaks appear to be pretty real, and at this point all that gamers can do is wait for Fourth of May to arrive.

Fortnite star MrSavage joins 100 Thieves – Dexerto
Fortnite star MrSavage joins 100 Thieves 100 ThievesNadeshot’s 100 Thieves organization has finally announced its newest member, confirming the addition of Fortnite streamer and competitive player MrSavage. 100 Thieves has been rapidly expanding their venture, combining apparel, esports, and personalities to creating one of the most popular brands in gaming. They already represent the likes of CouRage, Yassou, Valkyrae, BrookeAB and ‘The Mob’, and have now added MrSavage to their ranks. There had been speculation that the newest member of their streaming crew would be Fortnite pro and former FaZe Clan member Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. But, on February 20, the organization surprised many in the community by announcing MrSavage instead. Previously a pro player for NRG, the Norwegian 15-year-old has grown fast on Twitch and YouTube over 2019 and into 2020. Now boasting over 1 million subscribers/followers on both platforms, he is certainly a star in the making, and exactly the right fit for 100 Thieves. Welcome @MrSavage to 100 Thieves! MrSavage qualified 4x for the 2019 Fortnite World Cup and placed T30 in both Solos & Duos. This 15-year-old Norwegian phenom has solidified his spot as a top competitor and creator in the scene. We’re beyond excited to have him on 100 Thieves! pic.twitter.com/5UnRvj1iJW — 100 Thieves (@100Thieves) February 20, 2020 As well as being a content creator, he is a highly-skilled competitive player. He placed 14th in World Cup duos event, alongside Benjyfishy, netting $100,000, and 29th overall in the solo tournament. It’s unclear if he plans to represent 100 Thieves more in a competitive manner, or focus purely on content creation. Perhaps he will try to balance his disciplines equally. Why join 100 Thieves? He explains that one of the main reasons he joined 100 Thieves was because of the family atmosphere. Additionally, staying at the Cash App compound in California gets him better practice, as “NA practice is way better,” so clearly he still has a passion for the competitive side of Fortnite, as well as being a creator. He also explained that he is looking forward to creating content with the other members, and hopes that 2020 will be his “best year yet.” For Nadeshot and 100 Thieves, 2020 is also set to be a massive year. They opted not to join the Call of Duty, despite the founder’s history in the esport, due to the massive entry cost, but are spending their investment wisely elsewhere. Their League of Legends team is hoping to reverse the abysmal 2019 they had, and Fortnite and CS:GO are other games where success lies in wait. But, the company is equally focused on their apparel, and are now making serious strides in the content department now too.

Fortnite star NickEh30 outlines “OP” meta in Season OG – Dexerto
Fortnite star NickEh30 outlines “OP” meta in Season OG NickEh30 / InstagramFortnite streamer NickEh30 has found a new meta you should be using in Chapter 4 Season OG which makes use of classic unvaulted weapons, so here’s exactly which ones to use. Fortnite has returned in a big way with their Chapter 4 Season OG update, the nostalgic Chapter 1 has led millions of people to return to the game and break all-time player count records. Furthermore, with Epic Game’s update also unvaulting various classic weapons, many players have been left wondering what the best meta is. Now, NickEh30, one of Fortnite’s biggest creators, has outlined an “OP meta” in Fortnite Season OG for what he believes is the best weapon loadout to use to clutch a Victory Royale with ease. NickEh30 reveals overpowered meta in Fortnite Season OG NickEh30 took to X to share a video on the best weapon loadout to run with when dropping into the island. “These three weapons combined together will likely win any fight in Fortnite OG,” Nick claimed before revealing each weapon and showing him easily eliminating an enemy with them. The weapons suggested in the clip have all been unvaulted with Fortnite OG’s release, which are the iconic Hand Cannon, Pump Shotgun, and Grenade Launcher. In the clip, the Twitch streamer is shown starting his attack with a Hand Cannon to line up and fire a perfect high-damage shot before engaging an enemy. Straight after, he quickly engages in more close-quarters combat with the opposing player as they try to build. However, by using the classic fan-favorite combination of the Grenade Launcher and Pump Shotgun to quickly fire and switch between the two, the enemy was eliminated in just a few seconds. In particular, the Grenade Launcher’s effectiveness against walls and the Pump Shotgun’s strengths in close combat have proven to still be an unbeatable meta years later in Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season OG. Aside from weapons, Fortnite’s veterans have also been dominating new and returning players by using OG map tricks.

Fortnite star Mongraal goes viral after appearing in student’s English textbook – Dexerto
Fortnite star Mongraal goes viral after appearing in student’s English textbook MongraalA student was left shocked when they discovered former Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson was featured as part of an exercise in their English textbook. Ever since Mongraal effectively retired from competing in Fortnite, the once-young English prodigy has switched up his esports career to pursue content creation. Instead, he can be often found streaming on Twitch or regularly pumping out videos on YouTube for Fortnite. Following a break, he has returned to stream the game after its record-breaking rise in popularity off the back of Season OG. However, he has now gone viral after a student found him featured inside their English textbook as part of one of their tasks. Student shocked after discovering Fortnite legend Mongraal in her English textbook Fortnite player and creator Eympra asked: “Why is Mongraal in my English book?” as they were left shocked to discover one of the exercises in the textbook was centered around the iconic Fortnite star. The task referenced a throwback to his achievement of being one of the youngest professional esports players of all time: “In 2018, Kyle Jackson(UK) ______ the youngest professional Fortnite gamer at the age of 13.” Students then have to fill in the blank with one of the verbs shown above the sentence, making sure to use the correct tense, as seen in the photo below. Mongraal’s surprise reference soon went viral on Twitter/X, as many fans couldn’t believe it. “There’s no way right?” One user commented, as another responded: “This is actually wild.” While some couldn’t even figure out the answer to the somewhat easy question: “Why do none of the options fit the first one?” As a user explained: “you’d have to conjugate the past tense, so in this case ‘become’ would be ‘became.’” With the Fortnite’s Mongraal appearing in educational textbooks, it just show how far professional gaming has became in regards to entering the mainstream. This has also rang true for creators, such as KSI who has had his rise to fame being taught in British schools.

Fortnite Star HighDistortion Warps to Another Location After Opening a Chest in Titled Towers – Dexerto
Fortnite Star HighDistortion Warps to Another Location After Opening a Chest in Titled Towers TSM’s HighDistortion experienced one of the strangest Fortnite Battle Royale glitches we’ve seen during a recent Fortnite tournament and we’re still not 100% sure what actually happened. Fortnite Battle Royale’s meteoric rise in popularity during the late stages of 2017 and early months of 2018 was nothing short of incredible, and the Epic Games title looks like it’s here to stay for the long haul. The game’s high octane matches mixed with the innovative building mechanics, ever changing meta, and regular updates have made it a winner for any type of gamer, and that fact that it is available on just about every conceivable platform drives home that fact. However, it still isn’t perfect. While the developers do a remarkable job of keeping the game fresh, interesting, and performing well, glitches and bug still do inevitably slip through the cracks. On June 24th, TSM’s HighDistortion shared a clip from NerdOut’s first Little and Large tournament which is so strange that we aren’t really sure how to describe it other than to say he warped through space and time to another area of the map. The Twitch star drops into an area of Tilted Towers and attempts to open a chest but seems to be lagging. A moment later he warps to a totally different area of Tilted Towers, outside of the building, but totally unharmed… Got outplayed so hard by Epic pic.twitter.com/D9PNF0MSyG — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) June 25, 2018 Widely regarded as one of the very best players on the planet, HighDistortion has his fair share of hours logged on Fortnite. It is a testament to how strange this glitch is that the experienced player is so confused by what is happening, and we’re yet to see it be replicated so it could well be a one off internet issue. Unfortunately, the lagg/glitch caused some drama in the tournament as HighDistortion fans were unhappy with his opponents, Marksman and Wildcat, for not restarting the match. Either way, we can guarantee that the TSM man would find it even more infuriating if it happened during a big money match or major tournament.

Fortnite star Issa retires after battling wrist injuries – Dexerto
Fortnite star Issa retires after battling wrist injuries Ghost Gaming/Epic GamesFortnite World Cup finalist and controller star Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim has officially retired from playing the battle royale professionally after two years. With the rise of other games like Warzone and Valorant, a handful of Fortnite’s original stars have either jumped ship completely or will play Epic Games’ battle royale on an irregular basis. That includes the likes of Tfue, NickMercs, and Fortnite World Cup runner-up Psalm. However, in the case of Issa – who established himself as one of the game’s best controller players, especially in duos – he stopped playing due to an injury, and while he’s tried to get it sorted so he could come back on a regular basis, he’s not been able to do so at the same level as before. So, the former duos powerhouse and Fortnite World Cup finalist has now decided to call time on his professional Fortnite career – retiring on November 30 with a short, and to the point statement. “I don’t know how to start this, but I’m quitting, the former Ghost Gaming star said in his TweetLonger. “As many of u know, I signed with an org and was gonna try content creation but it just doesn’t work with my hand…. I’ve been going back and forth for a while and realized I need to either do it or quit.” Issa also thanked everyone who has supported him on his journey through professional Fortnite, including long-time teammate Liam ‘Kamo’ Fillery. As for what he’s got planned next, Issa added: “Still gonna stream every once in a while, but I’m mostly gonna focus on other stuff and do my thing. Maybe in the future, I can explain everything better, but for now, it’s just best for me to quit.” Support for his move poured in from the Fortnite community, with the overwhelming majority of his former fellow pros wishing Issa luck in what he’s got planned next. Fortnite star Bugha drops insane snipe prediction in Champion Series Fortnite, Twitter / Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale World Cup solos champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf has reminded fans of his deadly sniping accuracy in Week 5 of the Season X Champion Series. The young Fortnite star rose to fame earlier this year as the solos champion, and since then has taken every opportunity to show off his world-class skills in Epic’s battle royale. The fifth week of the FNCS was no different, as Bugha teamed up with regular trio members clarityG and Stretch to run the Season X gauntlet. This time, the 16-year-old spiced things up with an early snipe prediction that came true moments later. The trio were landing in newly implemented Moisty Palms as they looked to collect kills and victories for the competitive series, when Bugha stumbled across a heavy sniper in the first chest he found. He fired a speculative shot off at a floating opponent, just missing. Read more: Landing Pod, Loot Lake rift locations – There were plenty of Bugha’s fans on-hand to enjoy the moment too, with some even revealing they would just want to be involved in the kill once it was posted to Reddit: “I would be proud to catch that bullet.” Bugha’s wild shot in the Champion Series comes less than a week after HippieHabitat hit an incredible trickshot in the battle royale while skating on a Driftboard, leaving us with the question – is Fortnite trickshotting back on the rise in Season X?

Fortnite star Benjyfishy reveals massive weight loss progress BenjyfishyBenjamin ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish, Fortnite professional for NRG and Twitch star, has shared images of his incredible weight loss progress, explaining how he has made the changes and just how much weight he has lost. Benjyfishy has, like many young Fortnite professionals, been catapulted into esports stardom off the back of his incredible talent for Epic Games’ battle royale. Despite only being 13 years old at the time of Fortnite’s release, Benjy quickly realized he had a natural flair for Fortnite, and has grown an immense following off the back of it. At the time of writing, the now 16-year-old sits at 1.3 million Twitter followers and approximately double that in Twitch followers. While many fans are interested in the young British streamer for his talents on Fortnite, he has recently shared a health update, revealing that he has lost over 20kg in the past few months. “Posted on Instagram but thought [I] would post on here as well, 20 KG down,” he tweeted. Attached to the tweet was an image of Benjy stood in front of a Christmas tree, roughly 44lbs lighter. He followed it up by thanking fans for their support, and explaining that he wants to continue on his health grind. “Thanks for all the love,” he said. “[I’ve] been working out for the past year and a bit but only started taking [it] seriously past 3 months. Fortnite star Benjyfishy’s game crashes during $1.35M FNCS Grand Finals – Dexerto
Fortnite star Benjyfishy’s game crashes during $1.35M FNCS Grand Finals Epic Games / NRG EsportsWhile competing in the Fortnite Season 5 FNCS Grand Finals, NRG pro Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish was kicked from the day’s first match when his game crashed. Despite the setback, he and his team would return to the action and rattle off some impressive results. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is winding down and with Season 6 kicking off on March 16, professional players are jumping into the seasonal FNCS Grand Finals. Some of the biggest tournaments outside of the Fortnite World Cup, Grand Finals are always a treat for pros to compete in. The combined Season 5 FNCS prize pool is more than $3 million across all seven regions, and the best players in the world are out in droves to compete. With that much money on the line, and the competition so cutthroat, players want to be at the top of their game while fighting for the ultimate victory royale. Unfortunately for Benjyfishy, his first match of day one was interrupted when his game experienced a hard crash. Despite being kicked out of the game, Benjy and his team came back in style and secured a second-place finish heading into day two. The first match of the day started off fast, with Benjy and his two teammates — ‘Umplify’ and ‘Matsoe’ — dropping into Slurpy Swamp and grabbing loot. Roughly five minutes later, the trio had just entered a gunfight with another team when Fish was met with disaster. As he moved behind cover, his game froze and he immediately exclaimed “Wait, I think my game crashed, I think my game crashed!” As his team rushed to protect him, the streamer’s screen went black for a moment and then returned as he logged back into the main Fortnite menu. benjy crashed so round 1 will be restarted sorry for the team who wins it — aqua (@aquaa) March 13, 2021 Despite losing one-third of their team to the disconnect, Umplify and Matsoe put up a strong performance in the rest of game one. The two players managed to break into the top five rankings with a combination of high kills and placement even though they were at a disadvantage. Afterward, Benjy seemed confident he would avoid any issues in later matches. When loading into the second game, one of his teammates commented that they’d never seen him crash before, and Fish confirmed “I’ve never crashed [before this], no joke.” Initially, it seemed the lobby would re-play the first game of the day, but this ended up not being the case. The action continued as planned, and in the second match, the team made an impressive statement by winning the game and racking up 17 elims in the process. 2nd place day 1👍@UmplifyFN @MatsoeFN pic.twitter.com/4oXZA2fWSF — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) March 13, 2021 While game crashes are typically a one-off occurrence — unless an entire server or game lobby crashes at once — Benjy was not the only pro player to be impacted by issues in Season 5’s FNCS. Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, a fellow British pro competing for FaZe, had his hopes for FNCS qualification crushed by a similar disconnect. Regardless of the issues during day one’s competition, Benjyfishy and his team put on an impressive performance and will be looking to secure the number-one spot — and its prize money — during Season 5’s second day of FNCS Grand Finals action.

Fortnite squad kills world record broken for the second time in one night by FaZe Tfue, Cloak and co – Dexerto
Fortnite squad kills world record broken for the second time in one night by FaZe Tfue, Cloak and co UPDATE: It’s happened again! This time a European squad has smashed the record of Tfue and Cloak’s team. That’s three new world records in less than 24 hours! Original article… FaZe Tfue, FaZe Cloak, Knights ZexRow and Luminosity Gaming’s Kreo set a new squad eliminations record for PC just hours after SpaceLyon and his team did the same. Tfue took to Twitter to announce the new world record of 57 kills, and posted a picture to prove their achievement. The image shows Tfue leading the scoreboard with an impressive 24 eliminations to his name. Cloak picked up 17 kills, ZexRow got a total of 13 and Kreo came in with three to tip the team over the edge. A squad consisting of FaZe Replays, FaZe SpaceLyon, NickEh30 and TurkeyLips managed to beat the ‘no team kill’ record of 54 eliminations earlier in the day by picking up a total of 56 kills while playing their weekly Fall Skirmish ‘Squad Goals’ challenge. The players were, naturally, ecstatic about the achievement but the record ended up lasting for only a handful of hours as Tfue and crew came along and went one elimination better! The impressive new record is sure to give the players’ club, Rift Raiders a significant boost from their current fourth position in the ongoing Fall Skirmish competition hosted by Epic Games. To be clear, this is a ‘no team kills’ record, which means that players have not taken advantage of the ability to get an extra kill by eliminating a teammate using the environment. For a full list of all currently held world records in Fortnite, view our records hub here.

Fortnite Spring Breakout event: Start date, new skins, free rewards – Dexerto
Fortnite Spring Breakout event: Start date, new skins, free rewards Epic GamesEpic Games has revealed a brand-new Easter-themed event for Fortnite and it includes some creepy skins for players to get their hands on in the Item Shop, as well as a free pickaxe, and the return of the egg launcher weapon. If you’ve been hoping that Fortnite would be getting a Spring event in the near future then Epic has listened to your hopes and delivered. Not only will the upcoming event, titled Spring Breakout, feature some new free and paid cosmetic items but it will also see the return of the Egg Launcher weapon, which will come with some interesting changes. Here’s everything you need to know about the event. Fortnite Spring Breakout dates Flowers are blooming, the sun is out and robotic ducks and pastel-suited bunnies are on the Island… wait what? Spring is here and #SpringBreakout is coming! There are new Items, a Duos Cup, Papercraft and even an in-game reward to earn. All info: https://t.co/Dn3pScSyZh pic.twitter.com/n3e78onG6c — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) March 29, 2021 Players who are looking to hop in to the Spring Breakout event will be able to do so on March 30, 2021. This is more than likely the date for Fortnite’s 16.10 update, meaning players will almost certainly have to update the game to that version before they hop in. Epic Games has not announced when the Fortnite Spring Breakout event will end but it will more than likely be sometime in early April 2021, so players should hop in as soon as they can to get their hands on all the items they want. Fortnite Spring Breakout skins The Spring Breakout event will also feature a ton of skins for players to get their hands on, some brand-new and some returning from previous seasons. There appears to be three new skins coming to the game during the event. The names for two of them are currently unknown but we do know that the robot duck-like one is named Webster. Players will also have a chance to get their hands on the old Bunny Brawler, Rabbit Raider, and Quackling outfits during the event. All of the aforementioned skins, new and old, will be available in Item Shop. How to get Webster skin early and free If you want to get your hands on the aforementioned Webster skin early, you can do so by participating in the upcoming Spring Breakout Cup. Like most other tournaments in Fortnite right now, players who perform well will be given the new skin for free and early before anyone else can get it from the Item Shop. The tournament itself will be Duos and will go live on Friday, April 2, 2021. How to get free Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe While all of the skins featured in the event will be paid, premium outfits, Epic is giving away a new pickaxe to all fans based on the aforementioned Webster skin. Called the Tactical Quaxes pickaxe, players will be able to get this item by completing some new in-game challenges which will go live when the event gets activated. Unfortunately, the actual challenges that we’ll have to complete is not yet known. Fortnite Egg Launcher return The easter-themed Egg Launcher will also be making a return during the event. The one unknown is how players will be able to find it. While in the past it’s spawned as ground loot or found in chests, it’s possible that it might only be found via an NPC on the map, although that’s pure speculation. Epic did also say that a new “forgeable egg” will be found on the map during the event and that if you consume it, it’ll “bring a hop to your step.” What this exactly means is unclear, however, given the wording used, it may give fans an effect similar to that of the hop rocks from past seasons. Only time will tell. Of course, once new information gets released about the Spring Breakout event, including the challenges for the free pickaxe, we’ll be sure to update this article. Be sure to keep it locked here and Dexerto for everything Fortnite.

Fortnite Spray and Pray missions: Where to find chests inside containers with windows – Dexerto
Fortnite Spray and Pray missions: Where to find chests inside containers with windows Epic GamesFortnite Season 10 brought a whole new set of challenges for players to tackle and this particular one requires players to find chests inside containers with windows. Here’s how to do that. This challenge is part of the new Spray and Pray objectives that went live in Week 2 of the new season, which requires players to accomplish a variety of different tasks. However, this one might actually be harder to read than it is to accomplish – ‘Search Chests inside containers with windows’. The challenge itself is a bit of a mouthful, but is very easy to complete if you know exactly where to go. You’ll need to find the five chests inside containers with windows to complete this one, which means you’re looking for containers with windows that have spray paint on them. There are a number of these scattered across the map but don’t worry, we’ve tracked them down for you so you won’t have to spend a ton of time looking around, which is definitely the hardest part of all this. Take a peek at our map below. All of these containers are very clearly marked, so the only issue you’ll really run into is getting to them before other players do. Be swift! There is only one chest to be opened in each of these containers and it’s not even guaranteed to spawn, so it’ll likely take you multiple games to finish off the challenge unless you get pretty lucky. This is where knowing all of the locations will come in handy so you can pick it as a landing spot in five different games if you have to. Judging by the map, you may be best served starting at either Pressure Plant or near Dusty Depot for this one – as they have more than one close together. All in all, it’s a fairly easy challenge that shouldn’t take too long for you to get this finished up before you move onto the next one.

Spider-Man rumored to be next Marvel hero joining Fortnite crossover – Dexerto
Spider-Man rumored to be next Marvel hero joining Fortnite crossover Sony / Epic GamesEveryone’s favorite web-head Spider-Man could be the next Marvel superhero to swing into the Fortnite ‘Nexus War’ crossover, joining the huge cast of comic book characters that have debuted in the battle royale in Season 4. The world of Fortnite enjoyed one of its biggest ever updates on August 27. Iron Man, Thor, Storm, Wolverine, and more joined the battle royale’s cast as part of the ‘Nexus War,’ a huge Marvel crossover throughout Season 4. There were a few notable absences in the Marvel debutants, however. Captain America was a big one, though he had a good reason; the First Avenger had only just got a skin as part of the July 4th celebrations last month. Where’s Spider-Man? Another major omission was Stan Lee’s favorite comic book character, Spider-Man. Peter Parker is one of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, so it was odd he wasn’t part of the crossover. Worry not, fans of the web-head! It looks like Spider-Man will be joining Fortnite after all, after a number of data miners discovered new clues pointing to his anticipated arrival in the battle royale happening just a little later in Season 4. According to top Fortnite dataminer HYPEX, and backed up by similar reports from ShiinaBR, new Season 4 achievements point to Spider-Man joining the Item Shop “later this season” as a latecomer to the ongoing ‘Nexus War.’ There’s a Season 4 achievement that has a Spiderman logo, we might see him in the Item Shop later this season 👀 — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 27, 2020 Shiina also suggested Spider-Man may be joined by the web-slinger’s regular comic book foe, Carnage. This would happen “at a later date,” the dataminer added. ICYMI: Today some achievements have been added to the game, indicating that Spider-Man and his enemy Carnage could(!) be added to the game at a later date. — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) August 27, 2020 There’s no specific date that Spider-Man — and potentially Carnage — could join the battle royale, but it does sound like it’s in the works. The question is, if the web-head is on his way to the fight, who else could also join? Who else could join Fortnite x Marvel crossover? The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of heroes and villains that may arrive in Fortnite as part of the Season 4 crossover. Phase 4 heavy-hitters like Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Bucky Barnes, and Ant-Man are obvious picks. Black Panther is another choice Epic could go with. In fact, the Wakandan king seems the most likely; leaks have already revealed a “PantherMonument” POI is being added, and there are mysterious claw marks littered around the map too. Until Epic Games actually comes out and announces these heroes, however, it’s all just leaks and rumors. Keep your fingers crossed Spider-Man, and all his Avengers allies, do eventually arrive in Fortnite sometime in Season 4! While we’re waiting for the web-head, there’s plenty that’s already happened as part of the huge August 27 update. Epic added a new “Doom’s Domain” point of interest to check out, and there’s the Marvel battle pass to grind. The Fortnite devs even finally unvaulted the Pump Shotgun, among other guns, after fan backlash reached fever-pitch. Get caught up on all the massive Season 4 changes in the battle royale with our Fortnite v14.00 patch notes.

New Fortnite Spotlight series will take user-run events to a whole new level – Dexerto
New Fortnite Spotlight series will take user-run events to a whole new level Epic GamesEpic Games announced the Fortnite Spotlight series that will showcase user-run events in the community and things are getting started in the Oceania region before moving elsewhere. Season 10 so far has been largely controversial thanks to the BRUTE mechs but things might be looking up based on what Epic Games have announced so far. The mechs have received their first major nerf, Save the World cosmetics are coming to Battle Royale, and now we have the Spotlight event. This new event will showcase creators in the community who host events and things are getting started with players in the Oceania region in an event put on by Click. It’s called the Showdownunder, exclusive to players in the region, and it’s going on for eight weeks while also featuring a prize pool of $480,000 AUD. Fortnite tournaments have become known for their large prize pools and that hasn’t changed here. Epic says to keep an eye on their site for where the future events will be, but we’ll likely have to wait for this current one to wrap up for that. This program not only highlights these creators, but it will also sponsor them, meaning the entire prize pool for Showdownunder and all the future ones will be sponsored by Epic Games. There are numerous user-run events for Fortnite and the idea here is to give them a bigger viewer base which is a win for everybody involved. You can read Epic Games’ full blog post on the announcement here, where they also talk about the upcoming TwitchCon tournament, where an audience member will be able to get involved with the action at random. For all the criticisms Epic takes for their handling of Fortnite as an esport, they keep trying to push the envelope forward, for better or worse.

Fortnite fans spot unique Spider-Verse-inspired animation for Spider-Gwen – Dexerto
Fortnite fans spot unique Spider-Verse-inspired animation for Spider-Gwen Epic GamesEagle-eyed Fortnite players have spotted a unique animation for Spider-Gwen that demonstrates how deep the skin’s Spider-Verse origins run. Spider-Gwen joined the Fortnite universe this past weekend, arriving as part of the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass. Epic Games didn’t just bring the comic character to life based on her adventures on the page. The developer instead pulled from Spider-Gwen’s cinematic debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. As expected, her in-game art style matches that of the award-winning animated film. Upon closer inspection, players have found that Epic went the extra mile in capturing some of the movie’s intricacies. Spider-Gwen’s unique animations in Fortnite are awe-inspiring Danny4648 recently posted a comparison video on Reddit that highlights neat animation details for Gwen Stacy in Fortnite. The brief clip specifically shows off Gwen’s acrobatic moves versus another character. Redditor ‘meeeeeeowth’ called attention to the “little smear frames” that accompany the animation, for instance. And ‘heppuplays’ pointed out how the game drops to 24 frames per second for the Spider-Gwen skin, similar to the Miles’ Into the Spider-Verse skin in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The hope is that the same courtesy will be afforded to Miles if he ever makes the leap to Fortnite Island. While fans are enjoying Fortnite’s impressive animation work with Spider-Gwen, Season 4 introduced a host of other noteworthy additions, as well. Notably, those who purchase the Battle Pass gain instant access to Paradigm. Battle Pass progression unlocks the likes of Spider-Gwen, Meow Skulls, Grriz, and Lennox Rose. Chapter 3 Season 5 should begin in December, though what its content will entail is anyone’s guess at this point.

Fortnite: Spectator Mode coming soon following new details of private testing event – Dexerto
Fortnite: Spectator Mode coming soon following new details of private testing event Epic GamesSelected Fortnite players have been invited to try out a new Spectator Mode for the game, as invitations are being sent for a special testing event in February 2019. Fans of the battle royale will be delighted to hear that the feature is on the way, which Epic Games will hope to integrate for future competitive tournaments to make the viewing experience much more accessible. In a screenshot of YouTuber BlueNightEdgar’s invitation, players are being courted to “test unreleased spectating tools and features” in numerous sessions in early February. The email says that invitees will be playing in custom matches that will be integrated with the features, while also offering V-Bucks and food for those participating. The invitations sure go a long way to confirm a full-fledged Spectator Mode after many hints have have cropped up in multiple occasions. Fortnite events have seen the use of a new Observer Mode used in competitions such as the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am and the Winter Royale, among others, that gave viewers a completely new angle of monitoring players on the map. Further, suspicious ghost buttons like “Join as a Player” have appeared throughout the game in the past that have made players wonder about an imminent feature. The criteria for being an invited guest to the testing phase is unknown, but it’s strongly believed that an emphasis with Los Angeles Fortnite content creators are taking being targeted. Read more: Fortnite pro Myth finds perfect way to use new Sneaky Snowman to counter X-4 Stormwing planes – More information on the Spectator Mode should be released as the testing periods for the trial event takes place, and will be a feature many Fortnite fans will eagerly await.

Fortnite spaceship POI and Ancient Astronaut challenges leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite spaceship POI and Ancient Astronaut challenges leaked FortTory[jwplayer 1IFYfpxn]A fresh Fortnite leak has revealed a mysterious spaceship, a new ‘Crash Site’ POI, and Ancient Astronaut challenges that are all coming to the battle royale in the future. The Fortnite v13.30 update patch went live on July 21 and though fans might have been expecting sweeping changes, Epic Games kept things a little more lowkey. Instead of the cars and new Atlantis POI that were thought to be added, the devs focused on the Summer Splash LTMs and bug fixes. However, as you’d expect from a new update, a number of leakers have been able to get their hands on some new content – including the whole lot of cosmetics that were added to the mix. Yet, some have gone above and beyond, almost literally, by uncovering a mysterious new spaceship and accompanying features. Fortnite astronaut crash site POI The details come from popular dataminer FortTory who pointed out that the new files contained multiple shops of a small spaceship. Yet, it resembles more of a Tie Fighter from Star Wars than the rocket used in Fortnite Season X’s cinematic finale. Sadly, you don’t seem to be able to hop into the ship and start whizzing around the map like its the old planes. No, instead, you’re going to have to wait. The dataminer revealed that it will be found at a ‘Crash Site’ POI which he revealed to be behind Craggy Cliffs. its still under the water, but I removed the water so I could see where it was located pic.twitter.com/dZ1Dr2LRdv — FortTory – Fortnite leaks & news (@FortTory) July 21, 2020 Fortnite Ancient Astronaut challenge steps On top of that, you will have to help out the Astronaut who is stuck inside by getting his ship back online. Again, FortTory revealed that will be a few steps to doing this and it might involve defeating some NPC ‘attackers’ just like the Mauraders. Found Ancient Ship – Collect Missing Part – Install Missing Part – Begin Launch Sequence – Stop Ship Launch – Fortnite fans will, seemingly, have to wait until the water level once again drops to explore the new POI and spaceship, so it could become a bit populated once that happens. You’ll just have to watch your back and make sure that your chance at a victory royale isn’t ruined in the meantime.

Fortnite ‘Sonic’ skin possibly leaked to be coming soon – Dexerto
Fortnite ‘Sonic’ skin possibly leaked to be coming soon SEGAA new leak has appeared on social media hinting that Sonic the Hedgehog may be coming to Fortnite very soon, and also ties into SEGA celebrating Sonic’s 30th anniversary. Fortnite Season 7 is in full swing since it released during the early stages of June, and there is a ton of content that the visiting aliens have implemented into the game for players to check out. The new explorable mothership has signaled clues that we could see the emergence of classic POIs from Chapter 1 in the coming weeks, but new leaks have pointed towards another collaboration skin coming soon. This time around, it could be centered around a lovable character that has become synonymous with gaming in the last 30 years! Sonic skin possibly leaked Fortnite and leaks are two things that just go hand in hand at this point, and there are a few notable sources we’ve been able to trust in the past that have put out info regarding new skins and content coming to the game. This time around, HYPEX has noted that there’s “an unreleased contrail for a skin codenamed Sonic,” and it wouldn’t surprise us if SEGA and Epic teamed up to release a skin celebrating Sonic’s recent 30th anniversary, which was June 23. The last tweet was wrong but hear me out on this.. There’s an unreleased contrail for a skin codenamed “Sonic” and it uses Raz’ ribbons around his arms, and the color is PINK. My prediction is: its either a female counterpart of Raz OR an upcoming skin that has a similar effect! pic.twitter.com/oUtixxuyud — HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 28, 2021 However, one note to take into consideration is the fact HYPEX states the skin uses the same color pattern as the Raz skin, which was a part of the Season 6 battle pass. This could mean the contrail is simply going to be used for another variation of the Raz skin, but Epic naming it Sonic is still worth keeping track of. In the meantime, Epic is still going to be rolling out more skins influenced from other genres of media, and the latest case of this is with the Loki skin coming to the Fortnite Crew Pack!

Fortnite Solo vs Squad console world record beaten by three kills – March 6 – Dexerto
Fortnite Solo vs Squad console world record beaten by three kills – March 6 It’s taken almost a year, but a new console world record for most kills in Solo vs Squads in Fortnite has finally been set – and then beaten again, all in a matter of two weeks. Brazilian player SlayLeo managed an incredible 41 kill game, smashing what was believed to be the previous record of 38 kills, by French player Ft-Fateu, who had boasted the record since April 2018. The previous record of 38 lasted for almost a year, but another player, German ApoKxwaii, had in fact bested this record on February 22, 2019 – going one better than SlayLeo. It’s still a long way off the PC record for Solo vs Squads however, which is currently held by Ghost Gaming player Kamo with an incredible 46. PC records in general are slightly higher than console, with the exception of console Squad kills record, which is the only record to manage over 60 kills (61 total). You can watch SlayLeo’s 41 kill gameplay below, but despite this incredible number of kills, it still wasn’t enough to take the overall world record. As mentioned, ApoKxwaii has since provided evidence of his 42 kill game, which now rightfully holds the solo vs squads world record on console. This latest feat means that 2019 has seen five new Fortnite world records set already, which some players believe is a down to the meta of the game encouraging more aggressive play – allowing the best players to rack up more eliminations that ever before. The full list of Fortnite world records for all modes can be viewed here. If you think you have set a Fortnite world record of your own and can provide video evidence, let us know @Dexerto on Twitter.

Fortnite Solo Showdown Results Reveal Surprising Statistic About Which Platform Performs Best – Dexerto
Fortnite Solo Showdown Results Reveal Surprising Statistic About Which Platform Performs Best A surprising revelation has come out of the most recent Solo Showdown LTM in Fortnite – indicating that console players may have the upper hand. Since developer Epic Games made it clear recently that all platforms, console and PC, will be treated as equals from a competitive perspective, there has been increased scrutiny on the ramifications this could have. The global results for the second Solo Showdown show that console players, mainly on PlayStation 4, take up more than their fair share of spots in the top 100. In the first Solo Showdown, only 11 players in the top 50 were on PC, and for the second Solo Showdown this dropped to only four of the top 50. Team SoloMid member and streamer ‘HighDistortion’ reckons that the figure suggests the level of skill on console is less than PC, allowing the more skilful console players to more easily reach the top of the rankings. if Epic Games wishes to continue to treat all platforms as equal, then Solo Showdown should be played exclusively on cross-platform servers. This way, players on PS4 and Xbox would be coming up against PC players and vice-versa, and so the quality of opposition could not be called into question. These placings in Solo Showdown have major implications as well, as Epic bases invites to the $8 million Summer Skirmish series from the leaderboard. A PS4 player, invited because of his Solo Showdown performance, recently won week 2 of Summer Skirmish – which caused considerable controversy.

Fortnite snowstorms? Possible event could be on the horizon – Dexerto
Fortnite snowstorms? Possible event could be on the horizon Beginning on December 26, Fortnite players began seeing snowstorms pop up all around the map. Fortnite players know all about the storm circle that can prove fatal, but now the game has introduced another element for players to watch out for. Snowstorms have started to engulf the entirety of the Chapter 2 map, and while they aren’t doing anything just yet, players know that Epic Games teases things before something major happens. It’s looking like these snowstorms might end up being just the start of something much larger. Last year, the map was covered in a fog at just about the same time, and now players have something similar to look forward to, for better or worse. Visibility has dropped significantly so that players will have trouble with sniping in these weather conditions. Hearing the wind howling will also throw off any sound cues that players rely on, so there’s a second thing they will have to adjust to. The storms appear to happen at random, so there’s no real way to be prepared for them outside of knowing they’ll happen eventually. This could end up being Epic Games’ way of celebrating the start of winter, but as we know from the past, it’s rarely just that. The start of the new season has been delayed to February for Chapter 2, so the developers will have to fill that void in some way. Read More: How to unlock free Snowy Pickaxe in Fortnite – It’s too early to tell precisely what Epic have in store for this, if anything, but players have already started to talk about it. Some players have started to explore the various locations across the map to see if the storm is destroying anything, but nothing notable has been found as of yet. The Chapter 2 map hasn’t seen a whole lot of changes since it came out, so we’re bound to see something soon. As the storms continue to rage, it’s worth paying attention to the locations because something is bound to change. We’re not entirely sure how long the snowstorms will occur for, but they have certainly ramped up as of late. Luckily, the Fortnite Champion Series and Winter Royale have already wrapped up because we’re sure players would have been complaining about this sudden change in mechanics. If there’s one thing we’ve learned with Epic Games, it’s that nothing is ever off the table, so we’ll have to sit back and see what they have planned. In the meantime, keep an eye out for more ferocious storms and the impact they could potentially have on the map.

Fortnite soars to yearly Twitch viewership high thanks to return of OG map – Dexerto
Fortnite soars to yearly Twitch viewership high thanks to return of OG map Epic GamesThe latest update for Fortnite has brought back the OG map as well as a massive spike in Twitch viewership, one that set a new record for the 2023 calendar year. Fortnite, while a staple of multiplayer gaming in recent years, is having a brand new resurgence this month. What has triggered this new wave of popularity for the game? A nostalgia-led update. Epic Games decided to take a trip down memory lane and bring back the OG map for players to dive straight into. As a result, Fortnite players have been bringing back their old iconic skins to wear, landing in beloved locations like Tilted Towers and showing off just how long some of them have been fans of the game for. And while the player count is on the up, so too is the number of people streaming and watching Fortnite on Twitch. According to SullyGnome, a site that tracks the viewership numbers of Twitch, Fortnite has doubled its peak viewership numbers from September 2023 to October 2023. The highest number of people logging on to stream that game clocking in at just under 590,000 for October. Currently, the overall peak viewership for the game belongs to the month of August 2020, bringing in over 2,000,000 people. However, this giant uptick in the last month is a solid indication that the game is rebounding in a big way. After all, the OG only just dropped in November, meaning that this increase for October was before players were able to get their hands on the classic content. On November 3, when the original map did go live with a new update, the peak viewership was just shy of 800,000 Twitch users. Moving forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on these numbers and if Fortnite is able to break its peak from back in 2020. For all the latest Fortnite news, guides, and updates, be sure to check out Dexerto’s full coverage here.

Fortnite snowman glitch gives you higher FOV but with major drawback – Dexerto
Fortnite snowman glitch gives you higher FOV but with major drawback Epic GamesA new glitch involving the snowman item in Fortnite, which was re-added to the game during its winter update a few days back, is giving players a larger, more zoomed-out Field of View (FOV) but it comes at the cost of being able to play the game like normal. Glitches giving Fortnite players a different FOV are nothing new for the game, however, a new one associated with the Sneaky Snowman item, which lets players hide inside a snowy disguise, might be the weirdest one yet. According to SypherPK, who showed off the glitch in a new video, players have to get downed as they enter a Snowman item and then get revived by a teammate. After they get picked back up, they’ll have a slightly zoomed out FOV, giving players the ability to see more happening on-screen than they would before. Unfortunately, you can’t perform certain functions while in this glitched state, with the most notable being the fact that you can’t use your weapons at all once you get picked back up from your downed state. Obviously, this is a pretty massive downside, meaning players probably won’t want to do this in a normal match, as a larger FOV without the ability to shoot is rather pointless, to say the least. Fortunately, you can still do pretty much everything else but it doesn’t seem to be a worthwhile payoff from where we’re sitting. Fortnite’s FOV options, or the lack thereof, have been a huge talking point within the community for a while now. While some games, especially those on PC, allow you to increase or decrease the game’s FOV at will, Fortnite has no such options available and while Epic seems to be aware that players want them, there’s no indication that it’s coming anytime soon outside of this glitch. Because of this, it seems like this exploit, downsides and all, will have to be good enough for players who want to change their FOV for now, even though they really don’t have the ability to play the game in any meaningful capacity because of it. Still, it probably won’t be long until Epic fixes the bug entirely.

Fortnite players mock ‘terrible’ sniping montage: ‘CIA couldn’t get that out of me’ – Dexerto
Fortnite players mock ‘terrible’ sniping montage: ‘CIA couldn’t get that out of me’ Epic GamesWhile calling out Fortnite’s sniper problem, one user shared a sniping montage that other players are mocking online. The prominent use of sniper rifles has been a point of contention in the Fortnite community for years. In 2021, for example, the #RemoveSnipersFromComp hashtag gained quite a bit of traction on Twitter. The sniper discourse returned with Chapter 5, as well. Some argue that those who use snipers have a penchant for camping out in hard-to-spot areas, rendering everyone else easy prey. Others contend that the guns themselves simply deal too much damage. Either way, the weapon is here to stay, though the odd complaint does rear its head every once in a while. The latest of such complaints isn’t having the intended effect, however. Fortnite player’s sniping montage reveals a ‘skill issue,’ fans say “Snipers make Fortnite unplayable,” reads a post from a Reddit user who claims they’ve been sniped more times this season than ever before. To illustrate their point, the Redditor uploaded a 24-second gameplay montage that shows their many deaths to a distant sniper. All in all, the video features the Fortnite player being taken out a total of nine times. However, their demonstration hasn’t received the feedback they probably anticipated. The most popular comment in the thread jokes, “Even Batman couldn’t get me to release a montage of me getting headshot sniped.” Someone else replied saying the CIA wouldn’t get them to budge, either. Another response reads, “Bro, I play a lot and do not nearly get headshot sniped as much as you do.” Others tried understanding the original poster’s strategy, with one person asking, “Do you guys actually not move when seeing a sniper scope? My kneejerk reaction is to instantly jump up and the side when I first notice the glare.” Meanwhile, several people said that while Epic should work on Fortnite’s sniper problem, the gameplay on display in the video above is “literally just a skill issue.” Another person echoed this sentiment, saying the real problem is that the player seems “too predictable.” Unfortunately for this Fortnite player and countless others, it remains to be seen if Epic will address the latest sniper rifle complaints in future updates.

Fortnite snow map & new buildings leaked for Christmas event – Dexerto
Fortnite snow map & new buildings leaked for Christmas event Interesting details for Fortnite Battle Royale’s Christmas plans have been leaked ahead of schedule, with some huge map changes coming soon. Last year, Epic Games treated players with a whole host of different challenges in the 14 Days of Fortnite event and while that hasn’t yet been confirmed for this year just yet, it’s now clear that the game will be hit by a festive update to mix things up pretty soon. While the old map previously had a whole section dedicated to an ice biome, snow hasn’t fell on the island since the beginning of Chapter 2 – with some found on mountain tops – but it appears that a big freeze is on the way. Data miners HYPEX and xKleinMikex have been hard at work since downtime began for the 11.30 patch on December 12, trying to find new details regarding the long awaited Christmas event. It has admittedly been a slow period for leakers over the last few weeks, but finally they appear to have hit the jackpot with a whole host of festive content being discovered. One big change leaked, however, is a full snow map! SNOW MAP SOON!! Via: me & @xKleinMikex pic.twitter.com/7rliiTWHLo — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 12, 2019 It’s unclear as to whether the snow map will be activated by the v11.30 update and impact the landscape immediately, or saved for another week, but we’ll no doubt find out more once the update has been rolled out and players jump off the Battle Bus to explore the changes. Aside from that, HYPEX also tweeted out some brand new features that will also be added to the map in due course – including an ice hotel! some new buildings, a big ice hotel, a toy factory, old Crackshot house & a ski building! pic.twitter.com/QUgUHSSQGO — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 12, 2019 At the time of writing, Epic Games have not published any patch notes for the update and therefore it’s difficult to say what is included. The only way of finding out, really, is to take a look yourself. In terms of potential changes, this big freeze could see much of the water on the map – which takes up a lot of space these days – freeze over and turn into ice.

Fortnite community divided on how to solve “sniper situation” – Dexerto
Fortnite community divided on how to solve “sniper situation” Epic GamesOne Fortnite player thinks the worsening “sniper situation” means Epic should vault the weapon type, but others argue that’s too drastic. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 didn’t only bring Greek mythology to the Island. It also invited a massive uptick in sniper rifles available through loot. Following widespread player complaints, developers rolled out changes in late March that vaulted rare and uncommon sniper rifles, so players could only access the epic and legendary snipers. Several days removed from the change and some players still think Fortnite needs to fix its sniper problem because of the sheer volume of epic and legendary rifles available. One Reddit user suggested a drastic solution, writing, “…Fortnite either needs to make the sniper actually reward skill, or just vault it completely.” The Redditor put forth other possible changes, like nerfing the magazine size, decreasing bullet drop, and significantly reducing the weapon’s body damage output. Some Fortnite players agreed that vaulting sniper rifles may be the way to go. “Totally agree. I seem to get snipers more often than ever now,” one person chimed in. Added someone else, “I agree snipers are a bit out of hand and should probably just be vaulted or nerfed… it ruins the fun of close-up combat and makes it too difficult to fight in the open.” However, the thread is also full of those who think the problem is being overstated. “I think you are overreacting tbh,” commented one Redditor. Someone else said of the OP’s suggested changes, “No thanks you’re changes sound horrible and would make snipers useless.” Another Fortnite user shared the following thought, “Vaulting it completely would annoy a LOT of people. But I like the 1-shot mag idea. A lot of snipers IRL are bolt-action, 1 shot per load.” For now, it’s unclear how Fortnite developers will respond to the sniper-related complaints.

How to get Fortnite Snake Eyes G.I. Joe skin in Season 5: price, bundle items – Dexerto
How to get Fortnite Snake Eyes G.I. Joe skin in Season 5: price, bundle items Epic GamesG.I. Joe has dropped into Fortnite, with Snake Eyes joining the ever-growing roster of crossovers in Season 5. Here’s how you can unlock the new skin, and what other items are bundled into the set. Real name? Classified. Ninja Master? Verified. G.I. Joe is now in Fortnite Season 5, although his arrival wasn’t as sneaky as the Ninja would have hoped. The potential of the crossover has been known for a while, and devs have been fuelling the fire over the last week. Epic Games’ Donald Mustard teased it in a series of cryptic tweets on January 28. He changed his Twitter bio location to “Arashikage Clan,” a reference to the home of Snake Eyes. He sent a photo of himself reading the G.I. Joe comics too. https://twitter.com/DonaldMustard/status/1354944958025744388 That was on top of the official Fortnite account tweeting about a clan with the “best codenames” and an iconic phrase from the series — “Knowing is half the battle.” Snake Eyes G.I. Joe Fortnite skin price The Snake Eyes G.I. Joe bundle will set you back 1,800 V-Bucks in Fortnite. That’s quite a bit for a skin, but you’re not just getting the Snake Eyes skin. You’re also getting his signature Katana in two different colors — a Black one as a Back Bling, and a Silver one as a Pickaxe. Fortnite leak shows off Sniper Rifle primed to devastate vehicles – Dexerto
Fortnite leak shows off Sniper Rifle primed to devastate vehicles Epic GamesA Fortnite leak points to the potential introduction of a new Sniper Rifle that will deal tons of damage to vehicles. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has received mixed reception from its player base, thus far. Many complaints have blasted the arrival of vehicle mods, which load cars with machine gun turrets, bulletproof tires, cow catchers, and more. The consensus is that it’s nearly impossible to survive a battle royale match without driving around in a souped-up ride. And while other Season 3 items like the Nitro Fists can counter powerful vehicles, players still think Epic needs to either nerf cars or add more weapons that better balance the experience. Leaks making the rounds via AllyJax and RyanDoesLeaks suggest another counter to vehicles may arrive in the form of new Sniper Rifles. As pointed out by HYPEX, the potential damage-dealing power of the gun means it could do up to 3x damage on vehicles. The weapon’s alleged ability to only hold one shot at a time could prove a problem, of course. And, according to subsequent posts from AllyJax, Fortnite’s new Sniper Rifle will not allow players to upgrade it with a drum mag attachment. If this weapon is coming to Chapter 5 Season 3, there is currently no word on when players can expect it to arrive in-game. Season 3: Wrecked launched on Friday, May 24, introducing several new locales to the lower part of the map, on top of the divisive vehicle mods. Fallout’s Nuka-Cola and T-60 Power Armor also entered the fray at the start of this season. Epic Games could have even more up its sleeve in the weeks and months ahead. For instance, previous leaks point to Season 3 also adding Pirates of the Caribbean-themed content, including treasure maps, flintlock pistols, and pirate cannons.

Fortnite players are already annoyed by rumors of upcoming “Smart SMG” – Dexerto
Fortnite players are already annoyed by rumors of upcoming “Smart SMG” Epic GamesEpic Games is reportedly developing a “Smart SMG” for Fortnite that may be similar to the Auto Aim Pistol; fans are far from pleased. Fortnite recently added a smart gun to the mix in the form of its Auto Aim/Lock-On Pistol. Notably, the weapon has the ability to track and lock onto a target’s movements up to 50 feet away. The auto-aim can even follow enemies as they move through hiding spots such as piles of leaves. Players quickly labeled the firearm an “aimbot gun,” arguing that it’ll prove most useful for players who have terrible aim. According to a new leak, the development team may already have yet another smart-type weapon in the works. Fortnite leaker claims Epic is developing a “Smart SMG” Reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed that a new smart gun could eventually see the light of day. The weapon in question is supposedly a “Smart SMG,” which could bear some similarities to the Lock-On Pistol that launched in April. “They’re also working on a new weapon that increases fire rate as you shoot with it,” the Twitter user added. Players already seem peeved by reports that Fortnite may eventually play host to a Smart SMG. One user responded to the tweet questioning why Epic is making things easier for cheaters. “An aimbot SMG, tf is happening in Epic HQ? They’re like if you can’t ban all the cheaters, make cheats legal!” “Lock on SMG about to break the game,” another person lamented in the thread. The criticism doesn’t stop there, either. “They gotta stop this auto-aim stuff but the one that increases as you fire sounds cool,” another Twitter user wrote. Since Epic Games has yet to corroborate the leak, there’s no telling if or when Fortnite’s new SMG will actually become available in-game.

Fortnite slammed for “Trump vs Shooter” game in Creative mode: ‘Who would approve this?’ – Dexerto
Fortnite slammed for “Trump vs Shooter” game in Creative mode: ‘Who would approve this?’ Epic GamesFortnite players are questioning Epic’s moderation system after a “Trump vs Shooter” game went live in Creative less than a day after the assassination attempt. Fortnite’s moderation system is under scrutiny as Epic has allowed yet a UEFN game referring to the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. Criticism has also been sent to Fortnite TikTok accounts and UEFN creators who made content around the incident. One UEFN creator named Blmstudio published a map called ‘Trump vs Shooter’ which features an AI-generated key art of Trump and a Fortnite character aiming a Hand Cannon at the former president. The map was tagged under the PvP Boxfight category and had 4 active players. Many players on social media have slammed the Epic Games’ moderation system for allowing the map to go live. One player said, “UEFN is just pure clownville these days. Curious to know who would approve a map like this, especially less than 48 hours after the event took place.” “Okay, this is totally disrespectful and whoever created this map needs to get his or her creator code revoked and access to make future maps,” another said. A third user wrote, “UEFN could be the greatest thing ever, but two things are holding it back. Those are: Epic Games Moderation not caring about TOS and 90% of map makers being greedy and taking advantage of little kids’ naivety.” Since the backlash, the map has now been removed from Fortnite. This isn’t the first time Epic Games’ moderation has come under fire. In the past, racist maps and those that glorify political warfare have made appearances in the Discover row, sparking similar condemnation.

Fortnite’s Slurp Juice healing item returning from vault after two seasons – Dexerto
Fortnite’s Slurp Juice healing item returning from vault after two seasons Epic GamesEpic Games removed the Slurp Juice consumable in Fortnite Chapter 1, but it’ll soon return in a content update. Slurp choice entered the game during Chapter 1, offering a regeneration item capable of healing players up to 75 health. Users who employed the consumable at full health received a shield bonus. However, the item didn’t stick around for very long, with Epic vaulting Slurp Juice at the start of Chapter 2 Season 1. Notably, the effects of its removal were mitigated by environmental healing options such as Slurp Pools and Slurp Containers. But it appears Epic hasn’t forgotten about the classic Slurp-centric consumable. Fortnite’s Slurp Juice to return in forthcoming update According to reputable leaker Shiina, Slurp Juice will finally make a comeback in the battle royale in a February 7 content update. Further evidence of the claim comes courtesy of Reddit post from CorptanSpecklez. The Redditor shared a screenshot of their “in-game news tab,” which reveals Slurp Juice’s upcoming unvaulting. As such, it seems those who miss having access to this particular consumable item will soon receive quite the treat. “I used to pray for times like this,” typed one person under the Shiina tweet. Several other Twitter users called the move a “W” on Epic Games’ part. Not everyone’s ready to hop aboard the hype train just yet, though. A few Redditors argued the news isn’t that exciting since Slurp Juice in Fortnite has been “outclassed by almost every heal added since Chapter 2.” Of course, players will have to weigh the pros and cons of the Epic healing item for themselves when the next Fortnite Chapter 4 update goes live.

Fortnite’s Sky Jellies locations and Week 4 challenge explained – Dexerto
Fortnite’s Sky Jellies locations and Week 4 challenge explained Epic GamesThe Week 4 challenges for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 recently went live, so here’s what players should know about the Sky Jellies quest. Fortnite’s weekly challenges receive a refresh every Tuesday at 6:00 AM PT. Those who complete the limited-time objectives unlock rewards in the form of hefty XP payouts. As such, it’s beneficial for regular players to take part in the challenges, which range from hunting a select amount of wildlife in one match to dealing damage with certain weapons. One of the quests for Week 4 charges users with gaining health or shields through interactions with Sky Jellies. Here’s what users need to know when dealing with the floating critters in question. Fortnite’s Sky Jellies explained Sky Jellies appear as jellyfish-like beings from which a bright blue light emanates. Players have stumbled across them while exploring Fortnite Chapter 4, perhaps stopping to gawk at the aesthetically pleasing little critters. But in addition to adding color to the environment, Sky Jellies have a practical use in that players can use them to restore health and shields. Where to find Sky Jellies in Chapter 4 Unlike some of the other tasks featured in Fortnite’s Week 4 challenges, there’s no set place to find this special brand of jellyfish. Sky Jellies randomly spawn across the island, though they most often get spotted in warm weather areas. The perenially autumn-looking Anvil Square and Citadel locales serve as good places for players to check out as a result. Greener spaces like the Faulty Splits and Frenzy Fields work, too. How to complete the Sky Jellies challenge in Fortnite The latest batch of weekly challenges includes a quest that tasks users with “gain[ing] health or shields from jumping on Sky Jellies.” Gaining 50 health and shields from the action rewards players with 16,000 XP. Fortunately, the quest is rather simple. Users need only to find a Sky Jellies, then jump on enough of them to earn 50 health or shields. YouTuber Comrad3s demonstrates how the quest works in the following video: Completing weekly challenges in Fortnite has proven a relatively easy way to earn XP fast. Fans would do well to take part in the quests while they remain live.

Fortnite skins leaked for Black Panther, Captain Marvel & Green Arrow – Dexerto
Fortnite skins leaked for Black Panther, Captain Marvel & Green Arrow DC / Marvel / Epic GamesMarvel superhero Black Panther is finally coming to Fortnite Season 5, and it looks like he’s bringing Captain Marvel onto the battlefield too. Season 4 of Epic Games’ wildly popular battle royale game focused on the world of Marvel, introducing a series of skins based on some of the franchise’s biggest names including Storm, Wolverine, and Iron Man, as well as an epic finale battle against Galactus. But one iconic superhero was strangely missing: Black Panther. Some fans have speculated that the death of Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther in the Marvel movies, might have led to the skin being pushed back out of respect. Captain Marvel’s Fortnite skin There’s even more good news for Marvel fans, as Black Panther isn’t the only superhero skin we’ve got to look forward to. It’s been leaked that a Captain Marvel skin will be arriving at some point in Season 5. LEAKED CAPTAIN MARVEL SKIN!! It will come with an arrow holster back bling, and a pickaxe that’s basically a giant green boxing glove on a stick. It’s been reported by some players that the Green Arrow skin could actually be the next Fortnite Crew reward, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from Epic before we know for sure. Fortnite Zero Build sky glitch secures player an easy victory – Dexerto
Fortnite Zero Build sky glitch secures player an easy victory Epic GamesDuring a Zero Build mode match, one Fortnite player encountered a strange sky glitch that helped them secure an easy victory. Epic Games introduced the Zero Build mode to Fortnite earlier this year in March, allowing users to play a mode sans building options. Some players steer clear of the mode at all costs, while countless others enjoy the added bit of challenge. In certain instances, though, glitches enter the picture and turn the experience upside down. But a Fortnite player in Zero Build recently discovered that sometimes even the strangest of bugs can work in one’s favor. Sky glitch helps Fortnite user win big at the end of a match Near the end of a Zero Build match, Redditor a-shawn1 randomly stumbled across an in-game glitch that actually worked to their benefit. Just as the Storm Eye began to shrink, the player found themselves launched into the air without notice. They rose at least a few hundred feet before falling back down. It wasn’t a panicked fall, though. Instead, the Redditor managed to position their character right into the storm’s eye before landing and almost instantly taking out their final opponent. Victory was theirs for the taking, all made possible by the aforementioned bug. A few other Reddit users chimed in to say they, too, have encountered the Fortnite sky glitch depicted above, though it doesn’t always end on a positive note. One Redditor claimed they’ve run into the issue a number of times recently. Some of those instances ended with the player character falling to their death. The bug dates back even further, though, with Fortnite fans reporting the flying error late last year during Chapter 2 Season 8. Evidently, the glitch likes to resurface every so often.

Fortnite: Skin concept could give Wailing Woods something to smile about – Dexerto
Fortnite: Skin concept could give Wailing Woods something to smile about Epic GamesFortnite fans love taking inspiration from elements in game and reimagining them in different ways that bring life to various parts of the game, and one character skin would be a fitting companion to a famously location to of the battle royale. Fortnite hosts a bevy of unique locales for players to drop into each game, but one point of interest in particular has an unfortunate name that has it in perpetual sorrow so a fan made a skin that encompasses its spirit so it’d never be lonely again. In a post, Redditor YuGoZZ took the essence of Wailing Woods to make a skin that would give the drop-spot an eternal protector and a companion to stop it from being so desolate all the time. The concept’s name is Lone Survivor, a dark but fitting title for the skin’s association with the equally depressing forest area on the outskirts of Fortnite’s map. The character is covered from head-to-toe with references that hint to the skin’s deserted past, as it looks like he’s had to make due with surviving in the wilderness all by his lonesome. He sports a disheveled look consisting of “handmade protections” like shin guards made from bark, a backpack with keepsakes and a treasure map that suggest the explorer embarked on a wayward journey for riches. The Lone Survivor also comes with a pickaxe improvised from a shovel wrapped in vines aptly named “Overcomer,” with the hilarious description of “Primitive problems come primitive solutions.” Although people linked the design to the main character of the popular series The Legend of Zelda, the creator insists that the resemblance is purely coincidental as they’ve never played any iteration of the game before. The skin is a hilarious concept that would naturally fit into the style of the game, and would definitely give Wailing Woods something to finally be happy about.

Fortnite skill-based matchmaking reportedly removed in Squads – Dexerto
Fortnite skill-based matchmaking reportedly removed in Squads Epic GamesEpic Games has reportedly removed skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) from Fortnite’s Squads playlist, after months of fans begging the battle royale’s devs to bin the contentious Chapter 2 feature. SBMM has been one of Fortnite’s contentious features since it was first added at the start of Chapter 2. Epic implemented the game-changing search function with good intentions, but has been facing fan backlash ever since. The battle royale’s devs have been fine-tuning their flagship title in Chapter 2 though, and it looks like SBMM is the latest feature to come under the spotlight. According to leakers and pro players, it has reportedly been removed. Epic pulls the plug on SBMM in Squads playlists At least, the much-maligned matchmaking feature seems to have been switched off in the battle royale’s four-player Squads playlist. There has been no word on Solos or Duos though, leaving many to suspect it’s a single-mode change. YouTuber Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan also revealed in a May 5 upload that he had confirmed with his Epic contact “skill-based matchmaking has been removed”. Epic’s plan, he said, was to make the title’s playlists “more casual,” and “less sweaty.” Other stars seem convinced the much-hated feature has finally been stripped away too. Ali-A said he had “tested the rumours” and was convinced after he dropped 23 kills, while 100 Thieves star CouRageJD praised Epic for the move. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 0:53 in the video below. SBMM still reigns in Warzone, Apex Legends too Epic has yet to comment officially on this alleged change, however. That’s no small surprise — Fortnite’s devs often make unannounced tweaks to the title’s map, as well as weapons and equipment. They’ve become famous for their silence. Epic isn’t the only battle royale dev team to come under fire for their choice to implement an SBMM feature recently either — Infinity Ward and Respawn have both been slammed by Warzone and Apex Legends fans respectively too. In late March, Call of Duty superstar Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag took a swipe at the Modern Warfare devs over SBMM. Respawn was also forced to respond to Apex players after fan outcry over the feature reached fever-pitch last month. Fortnite appears to be the only battle royale to have actually pulled the trigger on removing the contentious feature, however. The only question is: considering Epic has yet to comment, will it be permanent? Unfortunately, only time will tell.

Fortnite skin already in game is as good as a Helldivers 2 collab – Dexerto
Fortnite skin already in game is as good as a Helldivers 2 collab Arrowhead/Epic GamesOne Fortnite skin that’s already in the game is found to be as good as an official Helldivers 2 collab cosmetic. Here’s what it looks like. Fortnite has collaborated on a variety of pop culture products, including comics, anime, and films. However, some of the game’s most successful crossovers have occurred with other video games such as Halo, Among Us, and Doom. Furthermore, AAA PlayStation titles such as God of War and Uncharted worked with Fortnite to provide Kratos and Nathan Drake skins in the game. However, another PlayStation title, Helldivers 2, is presently a fan favorite and has topped the rankings as the best co-op game of the year. Fans would want to see a Helldivers 2 collaboration in Fortnite, but it appears that the latter already has a skin in the game that is as good as an official crossover. Here’s what it looks like. Fortnite player points out skin similar to Helldivers 2 armor A Reddit user named fileq shared a side-by-side image of a Fortnite skin next to the Helldivers 2 character armor and wrote, “Guys, how fast do I need to run so you can’t see the difference?” With their post they showed the similarity between the Stormfarer Fortnite skin and the Helldivers 2 armor and claimed they look somewhat the same. Furthermore, in the last slide, they pitted an umbrella glider from Fortnite next to a dropship from Helldivers 2 to exact comparison between the two, yet again pointing out the similarities. Upon noticing their comparison closely, several Fortnite players turned in their thoughts. One such player said, “Corporate needs you to spot the difference in these two pictures.” Another chimed in, “Looks like a Helldiver to me. Spread democracy to the gods!” A third user wrote, “Well now I want an official Helldivers 2 and Fortnite collab.” A fourth one commented, “You kinda resemble him if you both were standing in the middle of a pitch-black room.” To those wondering how to get the above Fortnite skin, the Stormfarer outfit was a part of the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass that players could unlock as they progressed. Sadly the skin won’t be returning to the game. However, those who have it can rock it in their next Battle Royale match and spread democracy like a Helldiver.

Fortnite Skill-Based Matchmaking labeled a “joke” by frustrated players – Dexerto
Fortnite Skill-Based Matchmaking labeled a “joke” by frustrated players Epic GamesFrustrated Fortnite players are now slamming the game’s Skill-Based Matchmaking and calling it a joke. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is halfway through its run and lobbies are significantly changing each week due to several weapon nerfs and buffs. These changes add to the Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) enforced by Fortnite to aid players who are new to the game as compared to the ones who are often called “sweats.” In the current season, players are calling the Skill-Based Matchmaking a joke, specifically frustrated by how unfair their Battle Royale lobbies look. One such player shared a screenshot from their end game screen where they had played a total of 136 games in the current season but were matched against a player with 148 crowned wins in Season 2. This led to the player’s frustration as they told others they thanked the Bus Driver in each match, hence they could tell that their skill level was far lower than their crowned opponent who was a sweat. “I just want to be put into lobbies with people that are actually at my skill level. I’m not mad at the players that killed me, I’m mad that I was in the same lobbies with people who seem to play this game competitively,” they said. Another player chimed in, “The matchmaking hasn’t seemed fair lately. This has been something my teammates and I have noticed big time. Even when we tried playing ranked, we were put against a duo who were both platinum and both of us were lower ranks than them.” A third one offered clarity on the system and commented, “People use a secondary account with very bad SBMM to manipulate the system so they get matched up against players that are worse than them.” Skill-Based Matchmaking has been quite a controversial issue among Fortnite players each season, where some believe that Epic is being unfair to the community, while others enjoy the chaos in their Battle Royale lobbies. Regardless, Epic insists players are loaded into lobbies where each game they play is fair.

Fortnite: How to counter The Baller vehicle with simple trick – Dexerto
Fortnite: How to counter The Baller vehicle with simple trick Epic Games‘The Baller’ in Fortnite can be tricky to battle against, but one clever player has shared their easy trick to counter opponents who are using the new vehicle. ‘The Baller’ vehicle was added to Fortnite Season 8, specifically in the 8.10 update, on March 12. It is operated with a quickly rechargeable boost feature, similar to the ‘Quadcrashers’ or ‘Hoverboards’ that are already featured in Epic Games’ third person battle royale. Since their introduction, users have been experimenting with the grappling hook attached to the vehicle, even going so far as to find a hilarious glitch that launches players across the map. However, some players have taken issue with the fact that the Ballers provide considerable protection to the player inside it, as they are encased in a glass ball that has 300 health points. Now, though, Reddit user ‘LBCJustin’ has demonstrated a simple and incredibly useful method to counter users who are protected inside the Ballers. In a late game stage, the player encounters two enemies using the Baller. They are both pushed, and quickly have a ‘one by one’ box built around them. The user then places numerous traps quickly inside the box, which deal 150 damage each, hence quickly piercing the defenses provided by The Ballers, and eliminate the players inside. LBCJustin is clearly confident of this tactic, throwing up a ‘dab’ emote before hand. Also, judging by the success with which he executes this strategy, he has every right to be. Of course, it will require you to have more than one trap available, as using only one trap may not deal enough damage to destroy the vehicle and finish off the opponent.

Fortnite removes Siren skin from competitive after crazy chrome glitch – Dexerto
Fortnite removes Siren skin from competitive after crazy chrome glitch Epic GamesDue to a bizarre glitch caused by the new Chrome effect, Epic Games has disabled the Siren skin in Fortnite Competitive mode. The advent of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 introduced a new seasonal item that allows players to turn their characters and various objects into Chrome. Of course, the Chrome Splash item is in line with the latest season’s overarching theme, but it’s causing quite the stir online. Fan-favorite skin Siren turns all-black whenever Chrome is active, giving Siren users an advantage on the battlefield – particularly in darker environments. Epic removes Siren skin from Competitive due to Chrome glitch Fortnite-dedicated Twitter accounts iFireMonkey and Shiina report that Epic Games has temporarily disabled the Siren skin in Competitive playlists. As expected, this is because of the Chrome item rendering the Siren skin “completely black,” which, thus, makes the character difficult to spot. According to the post from Shiina, players can expect Epic to resolve the issue “in the near future.” A timeline for the skin’s return presently remains under lock and key, however. In a subsequent tweet, iFireMonkey shared video footage of the Siren skin glitch in action, as captured by Fortnite streamer JoJoJosiah. The primary concern with this type of error is that it turns Siren into a pay-to-win character of sorts, given that the skin is a rare outfit priced at 1,200 V-Bucks. Worst still, Siren never holds a permanent place in Fortnite’s Item Shop, though the skin’s come and gone dozens of times. Such a glitch isn’t exclusive to Fortnite, either. Call of Duty: Warzone’s Roze skin long caused issues wherein its design made the character appear nigh on invisible. To the chagrin of many players, the problem reared its head multiple times. Hopefully, a similar pattern doesn’t keep Siren out of commission for too long.

Fortnite Sideways weapons: Where to find them & how to upgrade with Cube Monster Parts – Dexerto
Fortnite Sideways weapons: Where to find them & how to upgrade with Cube Monster Parts Epic GamesOne of the biggest features of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 is the new Sideways, an alternate world where dangerous Cube Monsters roam and powerful Sideways weapons can be found. With the arrival of Fortnite Season 8, the alien invasion is over, but a new threat has arrived. The Cube Queen has taken over, and there’s a strange new phenomenon called the Sideways, with portals to another dimension popping up around the map. While you can avoid the Sideways if you prefer, the best weapons are often found hidden here, either as floor loot or inside the new Sideways Chests. These range from Sideways Rifles to the Sideways Minigun, and they have super-powered states to unlock. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about the Sideways, including how to enter it, where to find the new Sideways weapons, and tips on defeating the monsters that reside in there. Contents Where to find Sideways weapons – Cube Monster Parts explained – What is the Sideways? – How to enter Sideways Zones – How to enter Sideways Anomalies – Where to find Sideways weapons in Fortnite There are currently three Sideways weapons you can get in Fortnite, and the only way to find them is to enter Sideways Zones or Sideways Anomalies. Once you’re inside, look for purple Sideways Chests and open them. You can usually find plenty of Sideways Chests at the center of the Sideways Zones, near the tall spire. The three Sideways weapons on offer include the Sideways Minigun, the Sideways Rifle, and the Sideways Scythe. Read More: Where to find all NPCs in Fortnite Season 8 – If you’ve entered a Sideways Anomaly, you can also earn Sideways weapons by defeating waves of Cube Monsters. This is arguably the most difficult way of getting them, and you’ll need to come armed with decent weapons to succeed. The Sideways is a dangerous place, so once you enter, you probably won’t want to stick around for too long. Before you do leave, though, it’s a good idea to stock up on Sideways weapons. How to upgrade Sideways weapons with Cube Monster Parts Whether you enter a Sideways Zone or a Sideways Anomaly, defeating Cube Monsters will reward you with Cube Monster Parts, the latest crafting artifact you can collect in Fortnite Season 8. If you gather enough of these, you’ll be able to upgrade any Sideways weapons you have to make them even more powerful. We’d recommend leaving the Sideways and finding safety before you do this, though. To upgrade weapons, press up on the directional pad to enter the crafting screen. If you have enough Cube Monster Parts and a weapon that can be upgraded, a notification above the weapon will let you know. Sideways weapons like the Sideways Rifle and the Sideways Minigun also have the added bonus of a superpowered state. Rev them close to overheating, and they’ll deal extra damage to your enemies. What is the Sideways in Fortnite? After Kevin the Cube returned to the Island at the beginning of Fortnite Season 8, portals to another world started to appear. This is known as the Sideways, a dark, Cube Monster-filled dimension that has begun invading the Island. There’s low gravity here, but perhaps the biggest change in the Sideways is that building isn’t allowed, stripping things back to basics. Considering building is an important part of winning, it might be time to brush up on those gun skills. Read More: How to unlock Carnage skin in Fortnite – The overarching goal this season will be to protect the Island from the Sideways and the monsters that reside in it. Just like the aliens abducted POIs in Season 7, it seems likely that the Sideways to alter the map throughout Season 8. How to enter Sideways Zones in Fortnite In each match, a new POI will be invaded by the Sideways. To find the latest location, simply look for a giant orange sphere on the map. Run into it, and you’ll be transported to the Sideways to begin your adventure there. When you enter a Sideways Zone, the POI will look a little different, but the layout is the same. Here, Cube Monsters will attack you, but so will other players, so it’s a dangerous place to be. Get in, stock up on weapons, and get out. How to enter Sideways Anomalies in Fortnite They don’t appear in every match, but you’ll sometimes be able to find Sideways Anomalies at different places on the Island. You can spot these as they appear as small purple lights on the map, and they’ll suck you in if you get too close. Unlike the Sideways Zones, the Sideways Anomalies are smaller zones that require you to fight off waves of Cube Monsters to earn powerful Sideways weapons. Make sure you have some decent weapons before entering, as these are tough battles. That’s everything you need to know about the Sideways in Fortnite Season 8! Fortnite Shop leak reveals a rare skin is returning for the first time in 4 years – Dexerto
Fortnite Shop leak reveals a rare skin is returning for the first time in 4 years Fortnite/DexertoA recent Fortnite leak revealed the return of rare skins and cosmetics to the Fortnite Item Shop that haven’t been seen in years. Fortnite’s Item Shop refreshes daily, giving players a new batch of cosmetics at a set time depending on their timezone. The schedule has remained consistent since the game’s launch. Every 24 hours, players can check for new items. A recent leak from reliable Fortnite dataminer HYPEX has revealed the Item Shop plans through September 5. The list includes over 300 cosmetics, including rare items like Lady Gaga, TMNT, Rogue, Gambit, and more. While these items are purely cosmetic, they’re still a big deal for collectors. Some haven’t been available in the shop for over a thousand days, making them highly coveted by players. The rarest cosmetics on this leaked list include the Aero Axe Pickaxe, last seen over 1800 days ago. Another rare item is the Propeller Axe Pickaxe, which has been missing for over 1200 days. But the real stars of the show are the Bravo Leader and Trench Raider outfits, which haven’t been available for over 1200 days. These skins are so rare that most players haven’t seen them in the shop for over three or four years. Players have mixed reactions to this news. Some are excited about the heads-up, with one player saying, “This is big! At least it gives a nice heads up on what’s to come!” and another one exclaiming, “Been waiting four years for Trench Raider to come back.” Others are less impressed. “So many item shops and not a single good item or skin in them,” one player grumbled. Another joked, “So saving my V-Bucks until at least September 6, got it.” As Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 continues, players can look forward to more surprises – assuming, of course, they can manage without that one missing mythic weapon.

Fortnite: Should Epic Games continue taking chances with major meta changes? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep. 59 – Dexerto
Fortnite: Should Epic Games continue taking chances with major meta changes? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep. 59 The constantly evolving state of Fortnite Battle Royale ensures that the in-game meta does not remain as such for too long of a period of time. Developers Epic Games are consistently adding, removing, and adjusting things in the game that keep it fresh and do not allow for a certain combination of weapons, items, vehicles, or mechanics to stay too powerful for too long. With updates rolled out every week, the vast player-base is often left guessing as to what’s coming next to the popular battle royale title, and more often then not, Epic have introduced some sort of change that has drastically altered the game. While many may enjoy these constant flurry of changes, others, most notably those who play the game competitively and professionally, are often seen asking for more consistency when it comes to the important aspects of Fortnite. After all, casual players can always take their time in getting used to major changes, while competitive players have to quickly adapt and master them or risk falling behind. Season 7 of Fortnite introduced a mass of changes to the map, including a whole snow biome added to the southwest corner and three brand new points of interest. This topic was thoroughly discussed in Episode 59 of the renowned Fortnite Podcast by 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace, both of whom have an expert level understanding of the nuances of Fortnite. In the latest episode, the pair break down whether Epic are making the right decision in pushing novelties into the game and fundamentally altering the game as a result, such as when they added in the powerful Infinity Blade sword a day before the finals of the $1 million Winter Royale tournament. The Infinity Blade is arguably the most controversial item ever added to Fortnite and was eventually vaulted after heavy backlash from the community. While he sympathizes for the effect the Infinity Blade had on the competitive community, MonsterDFace also understands Epic’s reasoning behind wanting to wow the community. “Yes it was unfair and kind of crazy,I feel you guys on that, but from an entertainment perspective, I can’t argue against what Fortnite pulled off, because they pulled off one hell of an event. It was one crazy event!” Similarly, 2LoudTX does not want Epic to stop doing one of the main things that make it unique from other developers: “At the end of the day, I enjoyed the item. I like that they took a chance on something else. That’s what I don’t want to see go.” The NA finals of the $1M Winter Royale tournament were mired in controversy after Epic added the Infinity Blade just a day before the competition began. MonsterDFace also pointed out that Epic have done things like that in the past, such as when they added the glider re-deploy system days before the finals of the $10 million Fall Skirmish series at TwitchCon in late October. “This goes back to even the re-deploy system. Remember TwitchCon was the first days of re-deploy, it got slammed on them! Don’t be surprised, they’re here to screw you over NA,” he added jokingly. You can hear more of the Fortnite experts’ discussion about these changes and many other topics in Episode 59, including MonsterDFace’s recent trip to the Korean Open Fortnite tour as well as the upcoming $100K tournament hosted by WSOE.

Fortnite temporarily disables divisive Shockwave Hammer – Dexerto
Fortnite temporarily disables divisive Shockwave Hammer Epic GamesEpic Games has temporarily removed the Shockwave Hammer, a divisive weapon that launched alongside Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. The Shockwave Hammer counted among the many new additions to the battle royale’s fourth chapter. For some, it quickly became a fan favorite, too, thanks in large part to its two firing options. Its primary function allows players to slam the ground and damage nearby enemies with a shockwave. A secondary firing option lets users travel via consecutive hammer bounces. Not everyone’s a fan of the fun new weapon, however. Some think it’s OP, others feel like it often doesn’t work as intended. But an infinite bounce glitch has especially caused problems of late. Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite temporarily vaulted Epic Games recently removed the Shockwave Hammer from all playlists in the online title. In a Twitter post announcing the news, the developer merely cited an unspecified “issue” as the reason for the weapon’s vaulting. Players assume the aforementioned infinite bounce glitch constitutes the motivating factor, though Epic has yet to confirm as much. There’s no word on the Shockwave Hammer’s planned return date at the time of writing. However, the developer did note an intent to re-enable the weapon’s use during Fortnite’s “next game update.” For now, all Fortnite users can do is hope the Shockwave Hammer’s in better shape whenever it does rejoin the fun. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 kicked off in December 2022, introducing a new map, weapons, and a Battle Pass featuring Doom Guy and The Witcher 3’s Geralt of Rivia. Season 1 is expected to end in March, with Season 2 set to follow soon thereafter.

Fortnite Ship in a Bottle leak reveals powerful new Mythic item – Dexerto
Fortnite Ship in a Bottle leak reveals powerful new Mythic item Epic Games | FNBRNewsJPFortnite’s upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean collab will introduce the “Ship in a Bottle” Mythic, and it’s looking pretty strong in leaked footage. In the hours leading up to update 30.20, Fortnite dataminers uncovered nearly everything relating to the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean crossover. The reveals included a look at cosmetics like Jack Sparrow’s skin, which was available momentarily before being pulled down, leaked POI changes, and even the event pass. One of the more interesting leaks involved the “Ship in a Bottle” Mythic, as many players wondered how it would work. Courtesy of X users AllyJax and boredcrow24, leaked footage shows the Mythic does as its name implies by summoning a giant ship to rain havoc on anything in its way. Well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX added extra context to AllyJax’s leak with the following gameplay-related information. Though it may be subject to change, players can expect the following of the Mythic: Duration will be around one minute, with a max stack of one and players can exit the ship – 50 damage to players, 5000 to builds, 150 to vehicles – Does continuous damage – The ship be damaged, although HYPEX isn’t 100% sure of this part – While many players who viewed the leaked footage were excited by what they saw, many also fear the wave of nerfs that may accompany the item. “Can’t wait for it to be removed a day after release because of a specific community that shall not be named,” one player replied, sneakily referencing the competitive scene. Others also commented on possible nerfs, a trend that’s been prevalent this season such as with the massive Nitro Splash changes per 30.20. Another person shared their other pirate-related pipe dream: “A One Piece collab can so happen.” Provided the timeline doesn’t change, the POTC collab will hit Fortnite on July 19, right after Epic Games’ summer break. As previously mentioned, players can expect POI changes, cosmetics galore, quests to complete, and returning items to use.

Fortnite player worried about future LTMs due to Ship It Express “embarrassment” – Dexerto
Fortnite player worried about future LTMs due to Ship It Express “embarrassment” Epic GamesA Fortnite player is worried that future limited-time modes may be in trouble, calling Ship It Express an “embarrassment.” Every so often, Epic Games unleashes a new limited-time mode for Fortnite. The most recent of such modes is Ship It Express, a holiday-themed Zero Build LTM that puts users into four-player squads. Not unlike battle royale, the main objective is to survive until the end of the match. However, the twists come by way of mode-specific quests. One quest may task players with visiting a Ship It Express location, whereas another will require them to investigate stolen present stashes. While the mode provides plenty of fun, some worry that its lingering issues will set a bad precedent going forward. Fortnite fans label Ship It Express LTM an “embarrassment” In a Reddit post, one user slammed Epic Games for the poor state of Ship It Express. The player’s main problem with the mode is that some players snuck in guns and ruined the experience. Since only 6,000 people or so are playing the mode, the original poster fears “Epic will use this as an excuse to never [do] LTMs again because this one ‘performed poorly,’ even though they sabotaged it through sheer incompetence…” Many other Redditors seemed to agree that Fortnite developers dropped the ball with Ship It Express. One user chimed in with, “This was the first normal BR LTM that isn’t Horde Rush that we’ve gotten since Chapter 3 Season 1 and they butchered it.” Meanwhile, others were surprised to learn that a new LTM had hit Fortnite at all. “They also need to make it more obvious that there was an ltm because I didn’t realize for the first few days because it’s buried under creative sh**,” wrote a confused fan. It’s worth noting that Epic Games employees have been enjoying their holiday break of late. As such, whatever problems plagued Ship It Express wouldn’t have constituted a top priority during the studio’s downtime. Ship It Express and the Winterfest 2023 event in which it’s included ends on January 2 at 9:00 AM ET.

Fortnite shatters peak player record with Season OG launch – Dexerto
Fortnite shatters peak player record with Season OG launch Epic GamesFortnite has broken its record of concurrent players after bringing back the OG map from 2018, garnering even more players than it had when the OG map was in the game originally. Fortnite paid homage to its original fan base by turning back the clock to 2018 on November 3. With the rewind came the return of popular map locations, weapons and more. Not only could players immerse themselves in the map and playstyle of the game, they could also kit themselves out in OG gear. The Rangerok, Banana and Knight can all be obtained from the OG Battlepass. Fortnite has also begun adding skin lines from the first chapter in the shop. Millions of players flocked to the game when the update launched which caused queue times to pile up. The influx of players was some of the highest that Fortnite had seen in years but, by the second day, a record had already been broken. Fortnite surpasses 44 million players on OG map On November 4, Fortnite took to Twitter to share that the game had reached 44.7 million players, the most the game had ever seen. In addition to that, the game surpassed 102 million hours of playtime in just a single day. “Way to start things off with a big bang,” said Fortnite. “We’re blown away by the response to Fortnite OG. Yesterday was the biggest day in Fortnite’s history with over 44.7 MILLION players jumping in and 102 MILLION hours of play. To all Fortnite players, OG and new, THANK YOU!” There is a lot more to come with Fortnite OG. The developers have more plans in the coming weeks by adding more features from other earlier seasons. Although it’s worth noting that players have certainly taken some time to adjust to the way Fortnite used to be.

New Shadow Bomb item coming soon to Fortnite, image leaked – Dexerto
New Shadow Bomb item coming soon to Fortnite, image leaked DexertoEpic Games looks set to add another item to Fortnite Battle Royale and, if potentially leaked information is to be believed, it will be called the Shadow Bomb. There’s even an image available for fans to take a look at. There have been a wide selection of weird and wonderful features added to the battle royale game since it first released in September, 2017, and the game’s developer doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down. Dataminer @HYPEX first claimed to have found ‘Shadow Bomb’ in Fortnite’s data files on April 10, as seen below. There was no indication of what the item will look like at the time, but two pieces of audio for the possible upcoming addition did surface. 600Files that were added in Fortnite’s v8.30 content update also state players will soon have to: ‘Use a Shadow Bomb in different matches,” according to HYPEX. For those who are not familiar with Fortnite’s weekly challenges, this is very much the type of description that has been used in the past. Two audio files were also leaked by @FNBRHQ, which they expect to be used for the new item. These can be found in the clips below. Shadow Bombs could appear any time soon. Last updated on April 25, 2019.

Fortnite meets Sharknado in bizarre Loot Shark glitch – Dexerto
Fortnite meets Sharknado in bizarre Loot Shark glitch Epic GamesA “baked” Fortnite player randomly stumbled across a Sharknado-like Loot Shark glitch, though his teammates wouldn’t take him seriously. Epic Games added Loot Sharks to the popular multiplayer title during Chapter 2 Season 3. As their name implies, Loot Sharks carry with them loot items such as ammo and weapons. The only way for a player to take advantage of the contents inside of the large fish is by defeating it on the battlefield. On some occasions, though, bringing down the aquatic behemoths can prove incredibly difficult, especially if they take to the skies. Loot Shark spirals out of control due to Fortnite glitch While teaming up with friends for a game of Fortnite, Reddit user Skyrimfanboy87 inadvertently ran into a Sharknado-like glitch. The player shared a clip that shows their Darth Vader character climbing up a rooftop and coming face-to-face with a Loot Shark. Better yet, the Loot Shark soars through the sky with a car in its mouth. Oddly, the shark doesn’t stick around long enough for anyone else to see it. The creature instead floats out of view, sucked into the clouds as if by some unseen force of nature. Because no one else notices the strange phenomenon, the ramblings of the “baked” Skyrimfanboy87 are quickly dismissed by his fellow players. This isn’t the first time that flying Loot Sharks have wreaked havoc on Fortnite Island. Several months ago, another Redditor approached a Loot Shark who at first seemed an easy kill. The pace of the battle changed when the beast leaped over the player and flew away without a worry in the world. Evidently, this particular glitch has evolved, allowing Fortnite’s’ Loot Sharks to become apex predators of the skies.

Fortnite setting helps you spot enemies hiding in bushes – Dexerto
Fortnite setting helps you spot enemies hiding in bushes Epic Games[jwplayer ibznrzc6] Turning off the anti-aliasing setting within Fortnite Battle Royale actually assists players in spotting enemies that are hiding inside bushes. Fortnite can be a cutthroat gaming experience at the higher-skill levels, so players are constantly looking for ways to give themselves an advantage without cheating or stream-sniping. Some have recently noticed that disabling the anti-aliasing feature in the game’s settings allows them to better notice when someone may be concealed in a bush, waiting to catch them off-guard. The video below shows the effect that turning off this setting can have; if you look carefully, a small white pixel appears on the screen that lets the user know there’s someone there, even though the character can’t actually be seen. What is anti-aliasing? Anti-aliasing is a feature in a lot of games that adds realism to what’s being seen on screen by smoothing out jagged edges on curved lines and diagonals. Despite what it contributes, a lot of players like to lower or even turn this setting off right away because it usually increases the load on a graphics card and causes games to not run as smoothly, often involving a reduced frame rate (FPS). Disabling it does come with negative effects, of course, as the game won’t have the same visual quality. However, as shown in the clip above, this can actually provide an advantage, as the white pixel, which appears as a direct result of turning off anti-aliasing, is what gives the enemy’s hidden position away. Why does this happen? One user on Reddit, in their reply to the original post, explained that the way bushes work in Fortnite allows for players camping inside to be spotted if they’re not careful. That said, he did point out that if the user is aware of the bush’s coded boundaries, they can avoid flashing that crucial white pixel. I’m thinking the guy in the bush was sticking out (of the bush sphere, i’ll go into this below) just a little bit, his gun probably, this might have only been one pixel of gun. So the way bushes work; the bush within itself holds a sphere that is 100% opaque like a wall, you can not see through it, there are no holes. This sphere grows in size or completely dissappears depending on how far away you stand from the bush (something like 15 to 20 meters away idk exactly). The player in OPs video is standing very far away from the bush, so the sphere is completely “in bloom”, it is as large as it will go without over-extending the bush itself. Players camping in a bush will often ADS near the edge to see clearly whats around them, and to think about taking a cheeky snipe shot on an unsuspecting farming player. But you have to be extremely careful.. as your gun might stick out a fraction. Anti-aliasing will definitely help you spot a player who has made this mistake. But in theory it absolutely should not work if the player in the bush, knows his boundaries. If this information is correct, then it’s vital for players to approach their bush-camping technique carefully to not risk accidentally being seen. Using dark weapon camos and character outfit skins can help with that, but, as the Redditer mentions, it’s not foolproof. So, whether you are a bush-camper or someone who hunts for them, make a mental note of this discovery and apply it to your play-style the next time you hop into Fortnite.

Fortnite update will bring major change to X-4 Stormwing in future – Dexerto
Fortnite update will bring major change to X-4 Stormwing in future Epic GAfter complaints from the Fortnite community about the new X-4 Stormwing plane, Epic Games has confirmed that players on board when it’s blown up will take damage in a future update. The attack plane landed on the scene on December 6 with the launch of Fornite Season 7 and is proving to be a popular addition to the battle royale game. However, one gripe that people have with the plane is that the pilots and passengers are completely protected from damage when the X-4 Stormwing is destroyed. That will change in a future patch, though, as confirmed by Epic Games’ Eric Williamson. The developer’s Design Lead has taken to Twitter to address the situation directly, confirming that people on board the planes will be harmed as a result of the explosion in the future. The extent of that damage, however, is still up for discussion. He said: “We’ve discussed a small amount of damage to passengers when a plane is destroyed. Still determining what amount feels fair.” Yes, we’ve discussed a small amount of damage to passengers when a plane is destroyed. Still determining what amount feels fair — Eric Williamson (@erwil9) December 9, 2018 The X-4 Stormwing’s arrival on Fortnite Season 7 seems to have been a popular one, though, as many gamers have taken to social media to post some exciting moments fighting in the sky. There is a lot on the line for this collaboration, the latest in a stringer of blockbuster movies crossing over with the popular battle royale game. However, some have speculated it could be another malicious attack, given the coincidental timing. Infamous hackers Lizard Squad, who were previously responsible for another major Fortnite crash, have intimated that they could be behind this incident. It’s unclear whether they had any involvement or not. https://twitter.com/UGLegion/status/1205923548298174464

Fortnite Servers Go Down for Highly Anticipated V4.1 Update – Thanos Is Coming – Dexerto
Fortnite Servers Go Down for Highly Anticipated V4.1 Update – Thanos Is Coming MarvelFortnite Battle Royale’s servers have gone offline temporarily as the development team applies the highly anticipated V4.1 update featuring Marvel’s Thanos. Epic Games, the developers behind Fortnite, have done an almost perfect job of keeping their game fresh and exciting since it originally began to blow up in late 2017. They have done this through a variety of updates and patches that constantly bring new items, weapons, emotes, cosmetics, map changes, and even limited time modes for players to enjoy. Every patch is greeted with excitement but the V4.1 update promises to be just that little bit more interesting as it will mark the beginning of Fortnite’s crossover with Marvel’s Infinity War. The exact details of how the deal will work are currently uncertain but we do know that an “Infinity Gauntlet” will be dropped in every game and the person that finds it will turn into Thanos, the main villain in the Infinity War film. Of course, the V4.1 patch is also likely to add a number of other interesting new features or cosmetics and it doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait for much longer as the developers have now announced that downtime for the update has begun. Downtime for the v4.1 update has begun! pic.twitter.com/ltCiyjtgXW — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 8, 2018 One thing that the Fortnite Battle Royale developers are particularly good at doing is keeping their fanbase on their toes, so expect a number of surprises to be included in the patch notes when they are eventually released. If you can’t wait to jump into a game and try to find the Infinity Gauntlet, keep an eye on the Fortnite and Dexerto Twitter accounts for updates.

Fortnite servers are being shut down as Chinese “test” ends – Dexerto
Fortnite servers are being shut down as Chinese “test” ends Epic GamesFortnite’s servers in China are shutting down on November 15 after an announcement was released on the Fortnite China official website. Fortnite in China is a very different game than the Fortnite the rest of the world is used to. Epic Games has made tons of changes to their battle royale to appeal to the Chinese market and laws the country has around video games. Chinese Fortnite sports some major differences, most notably the lack of purchasable V-Bucks, as microtransactions are outlawed in China. Another difference is the visual alterations to various unlockable cosmetics, like the famous Crackshot skin. While the game had had plenty of players land in for a few games, it is set to be no more. Fortnite China is shutting down According to a new post on Fortnite China’s website, the game’s servers will be shut down in China for good. A translation of the website revealed that registrations for new Fortnite accounts will cease on November 1, then servers in China will go down on November 15. BREAKING NEWS According to the Fortnite China official website, Fortnite China has come to an end.“The test of ‘Fortress Night’ has come to an end. We will shut down the server in the near future. -” pic.twitter.com/i8T9gcnHWu — arkheops ✨ (@itsarkheops) October 31, 2021 Fortnite in China never took off in popularity as it did in the rest of the world as Epic Games was never able to properly monetize the game the way they have in other regions. The major roadblock for Epic was China’s outlawing of microtransactions, which the country never budged on, leaving them no space to make a profit. Without a workaround, the remaining Fortnite players in China won’t be able to enjoy the game after November 15, so hopefully, they are getting their last few matches in.

Fortnite sees massive day-one player count drops with Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite sees massive day-one player count drops with Chapter 5 Season 3 Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 had the lowest day-one player count of Chapter 5, with only 2.28 million logging on. After the explosive success of Chapter 4 Season OG, players were excited for the start of Chapter 5, resulting in almost 8 million players tuning in to Season 1. However, as the seasons have gone on, fewer players have turned up to experience the thrill of the first day of the season. As the third season of Chapter 5, “Wrecked” has had the lowest turnout rate so far. As revealed by well-known Fortnite leaker Shiina posted the results of the player count between seasons on X. Which sparked conversation among players as to why the turnout would be as low as it was. “If you can’t enjoy Chapter 5 (weapons, bullet drop off, map), this season won’t do it for you either, hence why I believe it’s lowering each season. OG was such a peak because it was simple and recognizable,” explained one X user. Fortnite introduced multiple new mechanics in Season 3, completely changing how the game was played. With the addition of new vehicle mods, medallions, and movement with Nitro, there are very few gameplay similarities from the previous season. For those who aren’t fond of driving around for a large portion of the game or don’t like dealing with vehicles, this season may not be for you. Wrecked is almost entirely based on these new weapon mods and how they can elevate gameplay. This, in turn, makes the players rely less on gun skills and more on surviving a demolition derby. It is only day two of Chapter 5 Season 3, and Fortnite has several weeks to tune and tweak the current meta, which could lead to more players returning. However it’s clear that the fast-paced style of Wrecked isn’t to everyone’s liking.

Fortnite battling “major” server outages amid Futurama collab launch – Dexerto
Fortnite battling “major” server outages amid Futurama collab launch Epic GamesFortnite’s servers are experiencing an outage as players struggle to login following the recent release of the Futurama collaboration. On July 26, Epic Games deployed Fortnite’s latest update, v25.20, which introduced a host of changes to the core game. Most notably, the new update unleashed a Futurama crossover, with Bender, Fry, and Leela costumes entering the game’s Item Shop. This means a few other noteworthy Futurama items have joined the fray on Fortnite Island, too. For one, players may very well stumble across Bender’s Shiny Metal Raygun while exploring Island. But new issues have suddenly cropped up that suggest the new and exciting update brought more to the experience than players bargained for. Fortnite servers down, tech issues arise following Futurama update Shortly after 25.20 went live, the Fortnite Status account on Twitter acknowledged reports about Daily Quests featuring incorrect descriptions. The post noted that developers were already working on finding a solution. Not too long thereafter, the account issued a statement saying that Epic is aware of “reports that players are unable to log-in or matchmake.” A fix for this particular problem is also in the works. At the time of writing, Fortnite Status‘ most recent update notes that Epic has additionally begun investigating Push to Talk functionality errors. Naturally, responses to all three posts are filled with players questioning when Fortnite’s servers will be fixed. Meanwhile, some users can’t help but comment on the notion that Patch 25.20 caused a mess of trouble. “Boy, this update literally broke the game,” wrote one player. Someone else replied to the above post with, “Why does this happen every time you release an update?!?” Notably, Epic Games Public Status page has both Login and Matchmaking listed as experiencing a “major outage.” When a proper fix will surface remains to be seen.

Fortnite seemingly claps back at Apple’s $73 million lawsuit in savage fashion – Dexerto
Fortnite seemingly claps back at Apple’s $73 million lawsuit in savage fashion Epic Games/AppleFortnite has now fired shots at Apple in a savage fashion after they demanded $73 million from the lawsuit. Here’s how they did that. The monumental battle between Apple and Epic Games has taken place in more than one jurisdiction, with the Fortnite developers suing Apple in EU, US, and Australian courts. Whether Apple’s dominance of the App Store constitutes anticompetitive conduct and whether third-party software distribution mechanisms ought to be permitted on iOS devices were the central questions in the antitrust lawsuits. According to recent revelations made by Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney, the US Supreme Court rejected the appeals of both parties, resulting in Epic’s defeat in the case. As a component of their legal damages, Apple has now requested that the court force Epic to pay $73 million. Consequently, Epic retaliated in Fortnite’s most brutal fashion to their demand, and the players are absolutely loving the brawl. Here’s what Fortnite did and how players reacted. Fortnite sends out savage message to Apple’s demands via emotes On January 18, 2024, Epic released two emotes in the Fortnite Item Shop that are said to be a direct jab at Apple for their demand of $73 million in legal damages. The emotes in question here are Bring It On (inspired by WWE Superstar The Rock’s signature pose) and Make it Rain (where the player rains stacks of money) which were released in the shop for players to purchase. Now players are going wild over this subtle jab by Epic and are commenting on the situation on social media. One such player said, “That’s actually hilarious lmfao.” Another chimed in, “Flex on em. Absolutely love this move by Epic.” A third user added, “Imagine doing a Fortnite emote against a lawsuit.” A fourth made an absurd request, “Is it possible for Travis Scott to return to the Item Shop to recover the money it lost against Apple?” While the legal battle is still not done from Epic’s end, the new EU regulations for Apple raise the opportunity for Fortnite to be available once again on iOS devices.

Fortnite secretly buffed Reboot Vans in v14.00 without telling anyone – Dexerto
Fortnite secretly buffed Reboot Vans in v14.00 without telling anyone Epic GamesEpic have made another secret change after the Fortnite v14.00 season update — the devs have handed Reboot Vans a buff, and changed several of the revive trucks around the map, all without mentioning it in the Season 4 patch notes. The Fortnite developers have become notorious for chopping and changing big battle royale features without telling their massive fanbase. It looks like that may have happened again after the v14.00 update last month, with eagle-eyed players now discovering some pretty major secret buffs to Fortnite’s second-chance Reboot Vans. Reboot Vans now have shorter cooldown timer According to reports from a number of Fortnite fans, cooldown times for Reboot Vans have been sliced in half after the Season 4 patch went live on August 27. The second-chance revival machines previously took 120 seconds to “cool down” before they were available to be used again. Following the v14.00 update, that non-use timer has been wound all the way down to just 60 seconds per revive. https://twitter.com/hzjoetv/status/1302728152150683651 Fortnite removes two revive stations in v14.00 That wasn’t the only secret Reboot Vans change Fortnite fans have discovered since the Season 4 refresh either; reports have been rolling in suggesting vans at The Authority and The Fortilla have been removed from the battle royale. This secret removal leaves just over a dozen Reboot Vans scattered around the named areas of the Season 4 map. There are none directly in the central or south-east areas of the map, however, after Epic’s unannounced changes. Reboot Vans now silent while in-use Finally, Reboot Vans are now reportedly silent when being activated by players. According to one player, XpertRangers56, they were standing right beside the van and still “didn’t hear anything” from the usually loud revive machine. It has not yet been confirmed whether this last change is a bug or not, however. Reboot Vans were originally added to Fortnite in Season 8 as an answer to Apex Legends’ super-popular respawn stations. They have now become a mainstay of the battle royale; the nifty vans have managed to avoid the vault for six consecutive season updates. This is the first time Epic has made any major changes to the revive stations — announced, or otherwise — since they were released in mid-May 2019.

Fortnite just secretly added Galactus to the map as Season 4 finale looms – Dexerto
Fortnite just secretly added Galactus to the map as Season 4 finale looms Marvel ComicsThe current Fortnite big bad buy, Galactus, has finally appeared in battle royale, in a secret change in patch v14.30 on Oct. 13. The iconic Marvel villain can now be spotted in the sky above Fortnite island ahead of the looming Season 4 finale. It’s no secret world-eating Marvel villain Galactus is on his way to Fortnite island — he was shown flying through space in the very first Season 4 trailer — but up until now, he has been a threat outside the game, rather than in the battle royale. All that has changed after the patch v14.30 update on October 13, however; the Devourer of Worlds can now be spotted in Fortnite, flying towards the battle royale’s Chapter 2 map. In classic Epic Games fashion, this new arrival wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the Fortnite v14.30 patch notes, but Dexerto has all the details on Galactus’ surprise appearance, thanks to a series of leaks, and some eagle-eyed Fortnite players. First off, you’ll be wanting to know where Galactus is. Well, once you’re in any battle royale match, look up. You should be able to see the Devourer of Worlds as a tiny pinpoint in the sky, flying towards his impending Fortnite showdown. He is still quite small at the moment, so you can be forgiven for missing him. A telltale sign you’ve locked eyes with Galactus is the bright red beam, and his signature helmet. Here’s a proper look at the Marvel villain in Fortnite after patch v14.30: Yeah we know, he’s not much to look at now. But according to new Fortnite leaks, including some from famed dataminer Lucas7yoshi and more from iFireMonkey as well, the Devourer of Worlds is only going to get closer in the Season 4 finale. The in-game model, which looks the same as Galactus in the original Fortnite x Marvel trailer, is codenamed “Distant_Object_2,” according to iFireMonkey. A image of Galactus getting closer will eventually be visable in the Fortnite sky. Codename: “”Distant Object 2″” pic.twitter.com/8rKLvo9nER — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) October 13, 2020 Lucas7yoshi also revealed a new Marvel event folder has also been added in v14.30. In the new loading files, a full Galactus mesh has been deployed. A series of references to planets and the Fortnite main menu holo-table are also included. “Some particle effects from the “final_impact” of ‘The End’ [the Season 10 event that ended Fortnite’s first chapter] were re-added, and are likely to be reused,” L7Y added. Galactus hasn’t only appeared in the sky either. The main menu holo-table has already had a secret update too; Galactus now appears as an “impending threat” above the map at random times, pinpointed by a bright red targeting system. okay im looking more into some “”junior”” thing in the folder where event crap usually is heres some meshes: theres also MANY many planets, and references to the holotable, which i believe is the BP menu thing more info in below tweet pic.twitter.com/qUITovpo5Z — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) October 13, 2020 For now, that seems to be all the secret Marvel changes Fortnite made after the v14.30 update, but keep your eyes peeled! As the Galactus showdown looms in the distance, Epic Games will likely keep adding little teasers. Right now, we’re in Week 7 of a planned ten-week schedule for the Marvel season. That means there may be just one more patch before the Galactus showdown at the end of the fourth season. It’s getting pretty close!

However, thanks to some strong work in the eliminations department, DMO and Tfue reclaimed their top spot going into the halftime break. The match was won by Eleven Gaming’s Anthony and his teammate ClarityG, who were able to climb 21 spots and into sixth after four matches. However, he was only third in the leaderboard at the time as competitive player Armond and Sentinel pro Aspect were first and second with five and four points respectively. The second match saw Winter Royale standout Pearl take the Victory Royale and boost up 32 spots to take first in the leaderboard. Competitive player Pate1K also boosted up 30 spots to fourth after getting a whopping six eliminations in the match. Some major names had also sneaked into the top 10 at this point, including the likes of Vivid and Team SoloMid’s ZexRow. The third match saw the emergence of Saf, who was on the winning team of the $100,000 Duos tournament from the day before. His Victory Royale propelled him all the way to first place with 8 points, two points clear of the second place Pearl, and three points clear of Pate1K, Vicaros, and Almond, all of whom had five points going into the halftime break. That was good enough to put him in the lead after match four, as his nine points were one better than the eight that Saf and Kyzui had gotten up to that point. The 16-year old Kyzui especially stood out in that match, getting some clutch eliminations towards the end to push himself all the way up to third place. Match five saw a considerable shift atop the leaderboard as Saf’s hefty elimination total got him to 11 points, enough to retake the lead from Vivid, who remained at nine. It was here when Bizzle add himself into the mix thanks to his Victory Royale, and his eight points were good enough for third place, tied with Kyzui going into the sixth and final match of the tournament. The pair finished with 11 eliminations and nine total points, establishing themselves a considerable lead over the second place Duo of Bowman and Team Liquid’s Vivid. Ghost Gaming were in the headlines again after match two but it was their star man Bizzle this time taking the Victory Royale with Team Reciprocity’s Triggysoars. The match win and 10 eliminations got them up to nine points and a slight edge over DMO and Tfue, who had two less eliminations overall (14-12) Match three saw the emergence of Gankstars pro player Ceice and his teammate Lyricen, whose Victory Royale thrust them into the top three. However, thanks to some strong work in the eliminations department, DMO and Tfue reclaimed their top spot going into the halftime break. However, at this point a new Duo had entered the mix for first place as JTruth and Thwifo managed to climb all the way to third place and tied the top two with ten points each. The match was won by Eleven Gaming’s Anthony and his teammate ClarityG, who were able to climb 21 spots and into sixth after four matches. Eleven Gaming were at it again in match five, this time with BlooTea and NRG Esports’ Zayt getting the Victory Royale to climb 27 spots all the way up to seventh. The tight knit group of Duos at the top of the standings was joined by yet another team featuring a Ghost pro as Saf and his teammate Ronaldo also sat at 10 points after five matches. This meant that there were four different teams with 10 points each heading into the sixth and final match of the tournament. That insane sequence, along with the subsequent Victory Royale, earned the Duo six points, pushing them into first place and securing them the tournament win. With all six matches now complete, here are the final placements for the $100,000 Duos tournament, with the top 20 players getting a share of the massive prize pool. The full standings for all 50 Duos, and their total points and eliminations, can be seen on the official Secret Skirmish website. $400,000 Solos tournament featuring all of the players that competed in today’s Duos event.Make sure to monitor @Dexerto and the Dexerto Fortnite page for the pre-tournament buildup, regular updates, and the final results and recap.

Fortnite players discover secret cave nobody knew existed on Chapter 5 map – Dexerto
Fortnite players discover secret cave nobody knew existed on Chapter 5 map Epic GamesA player found a secret cave in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 1 map, which is filled with worthwhile content. The Chapter 5 Season 1 map hit Fortnite over the weekend, unlocking access to a wide array of new locations and POIs. Better still, other additions include a moving train that travels across the landmass, extra vehicles, and new weapons for the game’s ever-evolving arsenal. But it could be some time before players explore everything the latest map update has on offer. For example, one user just stumbled across a cave that it seems no one knew existed. According to the player’s findings, the secret space is well worth a trip to the “edge of the map.” Fortnite player shows off secret Chapter 5 cave on new map In randomly exploring the edge of the Chapter 5 Season 1 map, Redditor Leo9991 discovered a secret cave. Located in the easternmost part of the landmass, the cave can be accessed by sliding through what appears to be a hole in a mountainside. The player enters the cave in the video and instantly encounters several chests full of loot. Exploring the area further reveals even more loot chests and other randomly strewn-out items. The real treat enters the picture once the player wades through water and knocks out a few rocks with their pickaxe to reveal another portion of the cave. Notably, the area is replete with tall trees, more loot, and even some Coral Buddies hiding on a tiny wooden ship. Needless to say, Fortnite players who’ve seen the Redditor’s Chapter 5 secret cave video are raving. “That’s actually so cool! I love when games add stuff like this on the map,” one person commented. Others are calling it the best map to date. Reads one such response, “We can complain all we like about the movement and locker UI, but this map is hands down the best we have had and probably the best overall out of every PC game.” Of course, it seems the trick will be in entering and exploring the cave before Fortnite‘s Storm Eye shrinks too far inland.

Every Fortnite Chapter 2 season update ranked from worst to best – Dexerto
Every Fortnite Chapter 2 season update ranked from worst to best Epic GamesAs the dust has now settled on the Fortnite Season 6 update, players are forming their opinions on how it stacks up against past versions of the game. Here’s our ultimate Fortnite Chapter 2 season rankings. Epic Games’ wildly popular battle royale Fortnite has gone through some massive changes since its debut back in 2017. Whether it’s map changes, powerful weapons, or major crossovers, each season has brought something new to the table. Some players still long for the OG days of Dusty Depot and Salty Springs, while others are constantly looking ahead to the next big thing in the game. So naturally, everyone has their own favorite season, but some definitely stand out. We previously ranked all of the Chapter 1 seasons, and now we’re putting the second chapter of Fortnite under the magnifying glass. Here’s every season in Chapter 2 so far, ranked from worst to best. 6. Chapter 2, Season 5: Zero Point Arriving directly after a headline-grabbing Marvel crossover, Season 5 of Fortnite had big shoes to fill. It initially showed promise with a well-received Mandalorian cameo, the debut of Gold Bars and bounty hunting, and the introduction of sand tunneling as a new way to get around and sneak attack enemies. But things quickly became stagnant, and it seemed as though Epic Games were relying solely on big-name crossovers to do the heavy lifting of keeping players interested. This worked with Season 4, because of the overarching Marvel theme, but in Season 5 it felt like a cheap cash grab as nothing really tied them all together. Enjoyable features like sand tunneling were often disabled due to glitches, and there wasn’t even a season-ending live event to help Zero Point go out with a bang as Epic decided to save that for the beginning of Season 6 instead. Ultimately, there just wasn’t enough to keep players coming back to the game. 5. Chapter 2, Season 4: Nexus War Whether you love or hate the pop-culture crossovers that now dominate Fortnite, there’s no denying that Season 4’s Marvel extravaganza was one of the most talked-about season ever, and helped introduce the game to a whole new audience. The franchise’s most iconic superheroes (and villains) like Storm, Iron Man, and Venom were available in the game for the first time, while the map got a Marvel-themed refresh with locations including Doom’s Domain and Ant Manor. Special powers like Iron Man’s Unibeam and Thor’s Mjolnir Strike also made the season feel unique, even if there were too many of them. It was an incredible season for Marvel fans, allowing them to witness their dream superhero matchups play out in Fortnite. For non-Marvel fans, though, there wasn’t much on offer here, and the game did feel like it was experiencing a bit of an identity crisis. 4. Chapter 2, Season 2: Top Secret Season 2 is one of the most memorable for many Fortnite players. One of the major reasons for this is that the Battle Pass introduced several iconic characters including Meowscles, Midas, and Agent Peely, many of which you’ll still see on the battlefield. Deadpool as a secret skin, meanwhile, was the ultimate crowdpleaser. Top Secret had a well-liked spy theme, too, with military agencies A.L.T.E.R. and E.G.O. battling it out across The Island. This storyline led to an impressive total of five new POIs including The Shark and The Yacht popping up on the map, as well as several landmarks in the form of SHADOW safe houses. Arguably the most memorable live event in Fortnite history also took place during this season, as rapper Travis Scott performed his Astronomical concert on The Island. It’s still raved about to this day. 3. Chapter 2, Season 1: A New World The first season of Chapter 2 proved that Epic Games were capable of truly switching their signature title up. Following a huge Black Hole event, which left the game unplayable for two days, a big bang-style explosion rebirthed The Island with a new storyline and multiple exciting locations to explore. Season 1 also introduced plenty of features that have become staples of Fortnite, including a new Battle Pass progression system using XP, Upgrade Benches that could also sidegrade, fishing for healing items and weapons, and even the ability to swim – which most players probably couldn’t imagine living without now. Perhaps the biggest downfall of this season, though, is that it went on for far too long. It’s the longest season to date at 128 days, and that meant things ended up feeling a bit boring towards the end. But for all those major changes that still have a lasting impact on Fortnite today, it deserves a high placement. 2. Chapter 2, Season 3: Splashdown Season 3 introduced one of the biggest changes to the map in Fortnite history, and more than lived up to its ‘Splashdown’ theme by flooding the map with water and introducing new features like sharks, driveable cars, flammable items, and NPC enemies known as Marauders. Read More: Best Fortnite skins ever released – Splashdown also managed to achieve what most Fortnite seasons fail to do: It kept things feeling fresh throughout its entire run. As the season progressed, the water slowly drained from The Island, revealing both new and familiar locations that helped make the game interesting every time you played. One main complaint with this season is that it didn’t stick around long enough, lasting only two months before Season 4 kicked off. As one of the most interesting phases in Chapter 2, it definitely could’ve lasted at least another few weeks. 1. Chapter 2, Season 6: Primal Many players were starting to get Fortnite fatigue before Season 6 dropped, as it often seemed like nothing major was happening in the game. Sure, there were plenty of exciting crossovers like Marvel and The Mandalorian, but those were predominantly decorative. Where were the actual gameplay changes? Fortunately, Season 6 changed all of that, as it properly shook things up for the first time in what felt like forever. The long-awaited weapon crafting feature arrived, tameable wild animals began appearing on the map, and multiple Guardian boss fights added a real sense of danger and excitement. The season-launching Zero Crisis event was also a massive highlight. In many ways, Season 6 feels like a reborn game. It’s fresh, but still has that familiar Fortnite magic. It may seem a little too early to rank Primal as the best Fortnite season, but honestly, it’s already earned its place at the top of our list.

How to find and use BRUTE Mech Suits in Fortnite Season X – Dexerto
How to find and use BRUTE Mech Suits in Fortnite Season X Fortnite Season 10 has introduced brand new weaponized vehicles – B.R.U.T.E – here is where to find them and how to put them to use. The new vehicle can be manned by two players or alone, allowing one to control the weapons while the other controls the movement. If you’re playing solo, you can switch between the two to keep pressure on your enemy. Materials can also be harvested while in the suit and can be spent to purchase ‘Overshield’ which creates a five second shield to protect you while sat in the cockpit. Where to find BRUTES in Fortnite Season X It appears that the BRUTE spawns are completely random, meaning you’ll have to hope there is one in your vicinity when jumping from the Battle Bus. However, BRUTE locations will be shown on your mini-map. Therefore, you can pick your landing spot to guarantee yourself the chance to test out the new item’s capabilities. How to use the BRUTES in Fortnite Season X While in the driver position of the BRUTE, you can charge your super jump by holding down your regular jump bind. Charging in the brute also allows you to harvest material and you can also self-destruct the vehicle if you don’t want your enemies to jump in after you leave. On the other hand, in the gunner position, you have a shotgun and a missile launcher which will shoot ten projectiles at your foes. There is also the ability to use the ‘Overshield’ mechanic if you have enough materials to activate it. Popular streamer Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier demonstrates the ridiculous strength of the missiles in the clip below. Given how powerful the new vehicle seems to be, there has already been plenty of concern from the Fortnite competitive community who are eager to avoid another weapon dominating the battlefield like the Infinity Blade. However, as the new item has only just been added to the game, expect it to stay in the game for the foreseeable future.

All Fortnite Season X map changes – Dusty Depot, Rift Zones, Wild West Tilted and more – Dexerto
All Fortnite Season X map changes – Dusty Depot, Rift Zones, Wild West Tilted and more Epic GamesAs per previous seasons in Fortnite, Season 10 has brought some map changes — both big and small. We go through all of the changes to the Fortnite universe from the eagerly anticipated update. In a futuristic twist, Season 9 saw the addition of Neo Titled — a modern day metropolis that replaced Tilted Towers in the battle royale map. Further additions included the construction of Mega Mall and Power Plant, in a bid to restore the map in the wake of the carnage that materialized in Season 8. Season 10 is no different, with the mysterious orb exploding at Loot Lake to cause plenty of changes around the Fortnite landscape. As teased in the trailers, long-term Fortnite fans will be pleased to see one iconic location return. Fortnite Season 10 map changes As expected, Dusty Depot has returned to the map. After being destroyed by the meteor and replaced with Dusty Divot, the iconic three depot location has been fixed and is back ready for players to explore. As well as Dusty Depot, fans will be overjoyed to see the ‘OG factories’ – three buildings just on the outskirts of the Depot – also make an epic return after they were caught in the crossfire of the meteor strike. Rift Zones One of the new additions in Fortnite Season X is Rift Zones – caused by the orb at Loot Lake becoming unstable before it eventually exploded. These zones are set to alter point of interests in mysterious ways. As shown in the trailer, one way could be not allowing players to build, meaning you’ll have to rely on natural cover and gun skill to outwit your enemies. The patch notes also hint that previously lost locations may also make a shocking return, meaning fans of the old Tilted Towers and Retail Row may finally get the chance to revisit some of the nostalgic locations in the future. Tilted Towers set to return – with a twist Leakers have revealed that Tilted Towers is set to return to the Fortnite map at some point – but not as it once was. While the Neo Tilted location will be replaced, a wild west version of the old Tilted Towers will be present instead. Found by @FortTory, it seems the current futuristic POI will slowly go back in time, drastically changing towards a wild west theme. Fortnite Season OG trailer reveals ballers, classic weapons, Cube POI & more – Dexerto
Fortnite Season OG trailer reveals ballers, classic weapons, Cube POI & more Epic GamesEpic Games unleashed the official gameplay trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG, which teases the return of classic weapons, the Cube POI, and more. Though Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG is slated to launch soon, Epic Games has shared little in the way of concrete information. One thing’s for certain, though, longtime players are in for quite the treat when the new season arrives. Season OG will revive the Chapter 1 Season 5 island, along with a few of its points of interest – like the Tilted Towers and Dusty Divot. Old-school weapons will also be reintroduced once the update arrives. Thus, players can expect the OG Pump Shotgun and the classic Scar Assault Rifle to re-enter the loot pool. Epic reveals action-packed Fortnite Season OG gameplay trailer On November 2, Epic Games unveiled official gameplay footage for Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season OG content. The trailer is jam-packed, too, showcasing a look at the Cube POI, classic Fortnite weapons, and the return of ballers. Many will recall Epic vaulting the baller vehicle during Chapter 3 Season 4. It hasn’t been available since then, so players should get a kick out of its forthcoming reintroduction. The Cube POI has similarly been MIA for quite a long time, so its return should inject even more nostalgia into the upcoming season. The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG trailer arrives one day ahead of the season’s actual rollout. Season OG remains on track for a Friday, November 3 release date around the world. Players should anticipate a few hours of downtime before the new content hits, though. Epic recently confirmed that downtime for Fortnite v27.00 will begin on November 3 at 3:00 AM EST, with matchmaking slated to be disabled sometime beforehand. For more on the upcoming season, be sure to check out our Fortnite hub.

Fortnite Season OG players slam Shopping Carts for “choosing violence” – Dexerto
Fortnite Season OG players slam Shopping Carts for “choosing violence” Epic GamesThere has been a lot of backlash from Season OG Fortnite players about the Shopping Carts, with many saying the vehicle is too broken and ruining their gameplay. Some have even claimed the carts “choose violence” when they were using them. Among the many things that set Fortnite apart is the fact that it gives its player base a ton of innovative items to use in the game’s Battle Royale mode. Players will always look for ways to use these things to their advantage, whether that’s by blasting Boogie Bombs on their opponents or employing traps in their builds. Shopping Carts, which have been a huge hit with players in the past, are back in the game on the Chapter 1 map with the release of Season OG. This two-player vehicle was initially utilized by users in the OG days for mobility. Now that players are accustomed to driving cars and quicker vehicles in newer seasons, returning to the OG island and relying on Shopping Carts may feel a little dull. Those who had counted on the cart’s mobility were shocked to find it was broken. One player went so far as to claim the item “chose violence” rather than provide a useful service to them. Here are the reactions of Fortnite Season OG players as they slam the item in the game. Fortnite Season OG players fuming over broken Shopping Carts A player named Sparcsie uploaded a video to the FortniteBR subreddit in which they can be seen riding the Shopping Cart and jumping down a ramp with a teammate. After taking significant fall damage from being flung out of the cart, the player is hit again by the vehicle and thrown a wide distance, at which point they are knocked out. This is not the first time this has happened, as other users have already shared clips, including one wherein a player can be seen throwing a grenade launcher shot near a cart containing a teammate. As soon as the shot hits the cart, it sends them flying across the map from a height that causes them to get knocked out or eliminated. Though the cart has 550 HP overall, taking a hit from it could be enough to eliminate a player in a Battle Royale match. After witnessing these videos, players in Season OG chimed in to slam the item as a whole. One such user said, “This Shopping Cart Chose Violence!” Another chimed in, “Got stuck in the ground playing Fortnite. Never impulse in a shopping cart.” A third added, “Fix the d**n shopping carts.” As players struggle to reacquaint themselves with Season OG mechanics in Fortnite, some are even feeling stupid for forgetting the Chapter 1 era restrictions.

Fortnite Season OG player rage quits after being griefed mid-air – Dexerto
Fortnite Season OG player rage quits after being griefed mid-air Epic GamesWith the odds stacked against them, one Fortnite Season OG player does the impossible – they rage quit the match. Fortnite Season OG is off to a roaring start, with the current season marking a glorious return to the battle royale’s humble beginnings. Player count has been through the roof, reflecting this is exactly what fans have been waiting all these years for. While this season has brought many changes, such as the trimming of the loot pool and the return of beloved POIs, the objective remains the same; win by any means. Some players take their mission very seriously, oftentimes causing trouble for those in the same lobby. Fortnite OG player rage quits after getting griefed In a short video, Twitter/X user kirawontmiss shared how serious Fortnite can get. With their squad completely wiped in Titled Towers, the player fled the scene of the crime. They stumbled on a Rift-to-Go, a quick way to escape Titled Towers and regroup in the face of disaster. As they find it, a squad jumped down on the helpless chap and forced them to activate their escape card early. They thought they were free as they gently floated through the air. Yet, as they turned around, all three of the opposing squad members closely followed like a pack of sharks. Rather than risk it, the player chose the impossible task – they rage quit the game. While hilarious, fellow Twitter/X users quickly pointed out how “sweaty” Fortnite has become. One user replied: “ngl id leave too no way they need to chase after me like that.” Of course, players sharing similar sentiments told kirawontmiss to play Zero Build, as the standard modes cause quite a few headaches. Fortnite Season OG is currently available now until it comes to a close on December 2.

Fortnite Season OG players say classic weapon is underrated and being ignored – Dexerto
Fortnite Season OG players say classic weapon is underrated and being ignored Epic GamesFortnite players feel that a certain classic weapon in Season OG loot pool is highly underrated and being ignored by many. While there’s a plethora of weapons to choose from in the current season, here’s the one they are currently referring to. Fortnite Season OG has caused quite a stir online, thanks to the update that brought the game back to life and put it back in the spotlight for both players and streamers. From Season 5, the Chapter 1 island is once again available with the seasonal update, which also unvaulted a number of weapons in the loot pool, including the legendary Rocket Launcher and the OG Pump Shotgun. Despite the recent addition of several weapons, players felt let down by the removal of their beloved Chapter 1 designs and the meta that added so much enjoyment to the game in the past. Regardless, that didn’t stop Fortnite users from having fun, as the game reached its highest player count to this day since the stats were made public. With the arrival of the recent weekly patch, players finally got their hands on the weapons and items they’d been eagerly anticipating. One weapon that stands out among the rest is the Infantry Rifle, which players believe is being overlooked in favor of more well-known weapons like the Pump Shotgun. Fortnite players say Infantry Rifle is an underrated weapon in Season OG A Reddit user named HeyGoogleOff posted an image of the Infantry Rifle that was unvaulted with the final Season 9 and X hotfix in Season OG. The user pointed out how the rifle uses medium bullets and has a tighter crosshair, making it the most underrated gun in the game. Shortly after, several users chimed in with comments of their own. One such player said, “It really is the only gun I’m sorta happy with when the clip runs out because their reload animation is so satisfying.” Another added, “Yup I’ll use this over an AR or Sniper Rifle.” A third person wrote, “I landed a head shot kill with it and felt disgusting. It’s basically what I always wanted the DMR to be.” A fourth player commented, “Fortnite got a little too OG with this item.”

Fortnite Season 9, Week 9 challenges and how to complete them – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 9, Week 9 challenges and how to complete them Epic GamesFortnite Season 9, Week 9 is here, and that means fans of the popular battle royale franchise have a brand-new set of weekly challenges to complete on Thursday, July 4. We’re coming to the end of Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event with just five daily challenges remaining, but the good news is that a special Stranger Things x Fortnite crossover is happening, with portals from the hit show appearing at Mega Mall. As usual, seven new weekly challenges have now dropped, with XP and Battle Star rewards for those who can complete the tasks laid out by Epic Games. The ninth set of Season 9 challenges are divided into two sections, three free challenges which are open to anyone who owns the game, with the other four locked and only available to those who purchased the Season 9 Battle Pass. Completing any four of the seven challenges will grant players with a 9,000 XP bonus as a reward, plus Battle Stars which can be used to rank up your Battle Pass and unlock new cosmetic items. The new set of challenges officially went on Thursday, July 4 at 6:00 AM PST / 9:00 AM EST / 2:00 PM BST, but thanks to @Lucas7yoshi, we already knew what to expect. Fortnite Season 9, Week 9 challenges Use a Chug Jug or Chug Splash in 3 different matches – 5 Battle Stars – Visit a solar array in the snow, desert, and the jungle – 5 Battle Stars – Stage 1 of 5: Get an elimination with a Common rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars Stage 2 of 5: Get an elimination with an Uncommon rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 3 of 5: Get an elimination with a Rare rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 4 of 5: Get an elimination with an Epic rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 5 of 5: Get an elimination with a Legendary rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – – Deal 500 headshot damage – 5 Battle Stars – Search 7 chests at Lazy Lagoon or Happy Hamlet – 5 Battle Stars – Eliminate 5 opponents in different Named Locations – 10 Battle Stars – Deal damage to an opponent within 10s of landing from a Volcano Vent – 10 Battle Stars – If you’re struggling to complete any of the seven weekly challenges, you can use our guides to help you earn those elusive Battle Stars. Fortnite Season 9, Week 9 challenges and how to complete them Use a Chug Jug or Chug Splash in three different matches The most difficult part of this week’s first challenge will be finding a Chug Jug or Chug Splash, but once you have sourced one, the challenge will be straightforward. Players simply need to use one of the items in three different matches, so if you find one when your health or shields aren’t full, drink or throw it, and that will count as one of the three. You won’t be able to do all three in a single match, but the good news is that they don’t have to be used in consecutive games, so don’t worry if you’re struggling to source one of the Chug items. Stage 1: Get an elimination with a Common rarity weapon Players will be utilizing all the different rarities of weapons this week, as you are required to find eliminations with all five variants of the weapons in the game. Getting eliminations will be easier as their rarity increases, but finding those weapons may prove to be a challenge. The five stages of the challenge are: Stage 1 of 5: Get an elimination with a Common rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars Stage 2 of 5: Get an elimination with an Uncommon rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 3 of 5: Get an elimination with a Rare rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 4 of 5: Get an elimination with an Epic rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – Stage 5 of 5: Get an elimination with a Legendary rarity weapon – 2 Battle Stars – – Visit a solar array in the snow, desert, and the jungle Hunting for a solar array is the name of the game for this challenge, as you need to find these sun-drinking contraptions in the game’s three main biomes – snow, desert, and the jungle. The solar array in the desert sits just east of Paradise Palms, the one in the snow at Happy Hamlet, with the final jungle array located directly north of Pressure Plant. Deal 500 headshot damage This challenge will test your aim, as you’ll need to deal 500 damage points to enemy players by finding headshots. How you chose to complete this is up to you, but an accurate weapon such as an assault rifle may make it slightly easier to find opponent’s domes, although accurately wielding a shotgun in close quarters could prove to be a quick way of completing this challenge, as it deals incredibly high damage should you find the skull of enemies. Search seven chests at Lazy Lagoon or Happy Hamlet Lazy Lagoon and Happy Hamlet are likely to be busy over the next few days, as players will be forced to head here to find seven chests. These chests don’t have to be opened in the same match, but if you intend on completing this challenge it’s a good idea to try and land here and find a chest early, as others will open chests if you choose to land elsewhere and rotate to it. Eliminate five opponents in different named locations An easy challenge to complete, players need to find five eliminations in any named location on the map. Where you choose to complete it is up to you, but the good news is that any area mentioned by name on the minimap will count, and these kills don’t need to be found in the same match if you die early, so play as normal and you should rack these kills up pretty handily. Deal 200 damage to opponents within 10 seconds of landing from a Volcano Vent Slightly trickier, you’ll need to keep an eye out for opponents around the Pressure Plant area, as you use the Volcano Vents, land and take aim at enemy players. The easiest way to complete this may be to just continuously fly around using the vents until you spot an opponent, and then dive bomb down to him and eliminate him. Killing an enemy with full health and shield will grant you the full 200 damage if you’re lucky enough to find one, but you may need to take down two players to successfully complete this challenge.
