Fortnite Season 3 patch notes: Underwater map, Sharks, Charge Shotgun Epic GamesEpic Games have finally released Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices on June 17, introducing new weapons, items, points of interest, and more. After a number of delays to the new season, Fortnite fans can finally sink their teeth into the latest major update for the game, which continues the story debuted in Monday’s Device event that saw massive waves submerge huge parts of the island. As always, Epic dropped a new trailer to kick the new season off in style, showing Meowsicles waterskiing around the island and a massive new Point of Interest, while meeting a host of new faces who make up the Season 3: Splashdown Battle Pass. What’s New? Splash Down After weeks of rumors and leaks, Fortnite’s map is submerged! Midas and his Doomsday contraption caused the waters to cover large portions of the island, so players will need to find new ways to navigate across the Season 3 map as they search for Victory Royales. Of course, a new map means new locations including Catty Corner, Rickety Rig, and The Fortilla, a massive location constructed out of scrap metal that sits in the south-west corner. On top of that, Epic have created tides, which will see the water recede throughout the season, which they state will “uncover even more locations,” hinting that we may not have seen all the new Points of Interest just yet. On top of that, the developers also revealed that once the water does head back out to sea, we’ll be able to jump in all-new vehicles to traverse the roads across the island, including a sports car and a pick-up truck. Sharks Players and NPCs aren’t the only inhabitants of Fortnite Season 3, as Sharks have infested the waters around the island. While the creatures may have a big bite, there’s no reason to avoid them entirely, as they can actually prove to be a handy mode of transportation across the submerged island. Grab a fishing rod, hook yourself onto one of the big fish, and speed around the map with ease. Don’t drop any items though, or they’ll be gobbled up, never to be seen again. Marauder NPCs Fortnite Season 2 say players taking on Henchmen at various Agency and Ghost locations across the island, and NPCs make a return once again in Season 3, in the form of new rivals Marauders. According to Epic, these new enemies crash down onto the island with the sole intention of taking players out, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled and your trigger finger ready to ensure they don’t end your match early. As always though, there is a reward with the risk, as Marauders will drop loot when eliminated. New weapons, items, and vaults Of course, no new Fortnite season is complete without some new hardware to play with, and the main addition in this patch is the Charge Shotgun, which fires explosive rounds that are sure to hurt anyone who gets too close to you. On top of that, Epic Games have also used the Vault to freshen up the weapon pool, with five items returning to the fray while waving goodbye to the classic Pump Shotgun, which will be removed from the game for the time being. You can view the full list of unvaulted guns and items below. Unvaulted Hunting Rifles (All variants) – Chug Splashes – Chug Jugs – P90 SMG – Bolt Action Sniper Rifle – Vaulted Pump Shotgun – Chapter 2, Season 3 Battle Pass The Season 3 Battle Pass also launches with the 13.00 Update, stacked full of new skins, back bling, gliders, and more, all following the aquatic theme of the new season. Players can purchase the new Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks, or splash out and spend 2,800 V-Bucks to unluck the first 25 Tiers immediately. Bug Fixes The official Fortnite Trello page has also revealed some of the major bug fixes and exploit patches that have arrived with this season, as Epic attempt to make the transition to the new map as smooth as possible. You can view all the changes below. Battle Royale: Fixes issue causing hit/damage indicators to sometimes appear to be coming from the wrong direction than the source of damage. – Emote music will no longer be heard while at the Main Stage in Party Royale – Addressed some players missing styles for the Specialist Pickaxes and Arroyo Pack Back Bling. – Mobile: Shadows will no longer display at a high contrast that was causing most texture to appear as black. – “New Landmark” text will no longer appear multiple times when discovering new locations on the Battle Royale map. – Addressed issue where the swipe-up feature on iOS devices was reported to be interfering with buttons near the bottom of the screen or closing the app on players. – Fixed bug causing build pieces to not always place when quickly switching between combat and build modes when firing. –

Fortnite Season 3 teaser hints at new map location – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 teaser hints at new map location Epic GamesEpic Games have released yet another Fortnite Season 3 teaser image and unlike previous graphics, it looks like we’ve finally been given a first look at a brand new location. This is just one in a series of cryptic images released by the game developer, with others seemingly teasing a crossover with Aquaman. In the aftermath of the Device event, which gave us a glimpse at the potential rising sea levels coming soon, it’s suspected that much of the original island will get destroyed. Now, we have a fresh image to support that theory. New Fortnite Season 3 teaser revealed As seen in a tweet from Epic on June 16, there’s going to be a lot of debris lying around after the event comes to a close. The image, below, shows what appears to be a boat on land, with a building we’ve not seen before in the background. Closer look at Fortnite Season 3 teaser That’s not all, either, as the game devs retweeted an image from user LianqN some 20 minutes later. This image, however, is a little more zoomed out than the original. Here, we can see that there’s much more than a shipwreck going on. In fact, an all-new location – which we can probably soon drop at – looks to have been unveiled. This isn’t the first set of teasers we’ve seen, however, as a few others have since been posted on social media. Those, as well as a shark image posted to Facebook by the official Fornite account, would suggest that water will almost certainly play a big part in the game’s next season. The patch to kick things off for Season 3 rolls out on June 17. Then, and only then, will we know what all of this means for the future of the island.

Fortnite Season 3 slide update accidentally brings back bunny hops – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 slide update accidentally brings back bunny hops Epic GamesThe Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 update to sliding also brought back the ability to bunny hop in the battle royale and players are rejoicing at the accidental change. Epic Games are prepping for the next installment of its popular BR title with the Vibin update that’s coming with a battle pass filled with Ballers-esque content that players will be grinding for a while. Along the new content also came a quality of life update for the slide mechanic that Epic introduced back at the turn of Chapter in early December. Essentially, Fortnite players can now perform uninterrupted slides to chain the speed boosts they get from coming down hills or slopes. What players found in application, however, is a much quicker way to move around the map. How to bunny hop in Fortnite Season 3? To put the move into practice, they suggest sliding down a slope to pick up speed then jump as you’re about to touch the ground. Fortnite players are quickly finding that they can bunny hop in the game after ‘FoxManYouTube’s video showing off the mechanic has started to pick up. It follows the same formula we see in other games that also let people extend their momentum by strategically hopping across the map. Though it’s not the first time we’ve seen b-hops in Fortnite, players are happy to see the move back in the game since it was largely nerfed in 2018. The sliding / bunny hopping feels insane now pic.twitter.com/dv5F1BwmyZ — Xen FoxMan (@FoxMan1x) June 6, 2022 To Epic’s credits, they’ve been incorporating more niche gameplay options that some players have been clamoring about such as a no-build mode in Fortnite. It’s still unclear, however, if the devs indeed intended to reintroduce bunny hops in Fortnite. If not, then it could be a matter of time before it’s patched out of the game – again.

Fortnite Season 3 stats reveal the fastest way to move across the map – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 stats reveal the fastest way to move across the map Epic GamesSeason 3 of Fortnite added a bunch of new movement mechanics — cars, Peppers, and even Loot Sharks. However, how effective are they all? One player broke down the stats, so you don’t get left in the storm when the time comes to rotate. So you’ve been caught at Steamy, and the zone looks to be down at Misty Meadows. You’ve spent a bit too long looting, and you need a way to escape the storm pronto. While most people would instantly look for a boat or a Choppa, there are other options for you in Season 3. Whirlpools give you the option of gliding your way down the map. Swimming is an easy way to cut through the swell. Once you hit land though, you’ll have to leg it on foot. What’s the best way to get out of the storm? Well, one player has broken down the math so you don’t have to. Fortnite Season 3 movement breakdown Reddit user ‘SymboleX’ crunched the numbers of just how fast and efficient most modes of transport are in Fortnite. While it’s not a comprehensive list — Choppa’s are missing, most notably — it covers all the major ones. Read more: Fortnite map evolves again in July 11 update – Here are the travel speeds Symbole came up with for specific modes of transport in Fortnite: Running: 333 meters / minute – Running with Pepper: 500 meters / minute – Swimming: 600 meters / minute – Swimming with Pepper: 800 meters / minute – Boating: 1200 meters / minute – Gliding: 1200 meters / minute – “This can be very useful if you’re contemplating whether or not to keep looting that extra house even if the zone is far away — 300m is generally around a minute if you hurry, just place a marker on the zone to see the distance,” they said. This is based on all the movement we know of right now, anyways. Cars will be making their entrance into Fortnite in just a week’s time on July 21, which is bound to provide another efficient way of rotating across the map. Choppas are also super effective for rotating in a pinch. While they are a bit more rare in Season 3, they are still hotly contested in all formats of the game. Their ability to fly out of most players’ render distances is incredibly strong, no matter their pace. The most interesting stat to point out is the potency of Peppers. Re-added in Season 3, the foraging item’s tooltip states it increases movement speed by 20% for 60 seconds. However, according to tests by Symbole, that number is closer to 33%. So, if you need to rotate across the map, there’s no need to panic. There’s plenty of ways to get from A to B in Season 3, it’s just a matter of finding the best way for your situation.

Fortnite’s classic POIs have invaded Season 3 map locations – Dexerto
Fortnite’s classic POIs have invaded Season 3 map locations Fortnite players have discovered that Update 21.10 introduced instances of classic map POIs popping in and changing locations in Season 3. Epic Games deployed Fornite’s 21.10 patch on June 21, unleashing a whole host of new additions to the multiplayer experience. Most notably, the latest update dropped Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers on the Island. Those who go toe-to-toe with and defeat the Sith Lord will be able to wield his Lightsaber. The 21.10 patch also unlocks Super Styles for the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass skins. Auric Blaze, Lapis Slurp, and Platinum Rift styles apply to the following characters: Adira, Evie, Malik, Sabina, and Stormfarer. Fortnite’s Season 3 map is changing each match Epic’s patch notes didn’t outline all of the noteworthy changes in 21.10, however. After downloading the update, players such as Twitter user Nanass found that POIs from Chapters 1 and 2 will randomly disrupt the flow of things on the Chapter 3 Season 3 map. For example, Season 3’s Logjam Lumberyard now switches its theme during every match. One instance may see the locale adopt Chapter 1 Season 8’s Lazy Lagoon pirate ship. Fortnite leaker HYPEX also pointed out that other POI changes include those related to Coral Castle, Colossal Coliseum, and Tilted Town. Logjam’s changes themes each game featuring Chapter 1 & 2 POIs! – Atlantis (Coral Castle) – Pirates (Lazy Lagoon) – Roman (Colossal Coliseum) – Wild West (Tilted Town, without rift zone the effect) pic.twitter.com/E9IZj42u1n— HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 21, 2022 Presumably, the newly implemented Reality Tree spawned these alterations to Fortnite’s Season 3 map. As the tree’s roots spread across the map, reality will likely continue to shift and warp. Epic Games has even bigger plans for the rest of the week, too. To the delight of many fans, the eagerly-awaited Naruto Rivals crossover goes live on Wednesday, June 23. Marketing photos and leaked details suggest the upcoming event will come complete with skins for the likes of Gaara, Hinata Itachi, and Orochimaru.

5 features we want to see in Fortnite Season 3 – Dexerto
5 features we want to see in Fortnite Season 3 Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale players from all around the world are looking forward to seeing what Epic Games have in store for Chapter 2, Season 3, and we’re going to run through a few new features we’d like to see appear. The current season has been enjoyed by many players, there’s no doubt about that, but many content creators have strayed away from the battle royale title in recent times. This is something that’s tended to happen in previous seasons, with many coming back when Chapter 2 first launched, and its going to take some big changes to get the game back to the level it was at around six months ago. That said, if there’s one thing Epic has done in the past, that’s hitting the ball out of the park with new updates. With Season 3 kicking off on June 11, we’ve put together a quick wish list of features that may or may not be included in the next major patch. 5 things Fortnite Season 3 could add Flooded map Let’s get the easiest one out of the way right off the bat, especially as it’s more or less been confirmed with multiple leaks. The idea of going back to the original Fortnite island had been a nostalgic idea presented by much of the player base, but if the game really wants to get back on top – with fierce competition now with Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone – it needs to take the experience and completely reshape how we play. What better way to do that than to flood the map completely. Multiple swimming animations have already been leaked, not to mention the Fortnite Season 3 icon showing much of the island covered in water on the PlayStation Store, so this looks increasingly likely to happen. Having to shoot underwater, dive down to underwater bases for loot, getting dropped off on a Battle Boat rather than a Battle Bus, and other ideas are all possible! No battle royale game has made water such a prominent feature before and this presents an opportunity to really do something different. Let’s see how it pans out, but we’re all for it! New weapons If you take a look through the current weapons list for Fortnite, it’s so basic compared to what we’ve seen in the past. Sure, we’ve all had some good experiences with those that are still in the game, but if we’re looking on going underwater for much of the next season then a real shakeup is in order. Harpoons were a start, but let’s go further with the water theme. Some of the meta weapons, or usual suspects as we’d call them, like the SCAR, Rocket Launcher, and Heavy Sniper Rifle aren’t going anywhere. However, the likes of the Burst Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, Suppressed Sniper Rifle, and low rarity Tactical Shotguns can surely be switched up for other exciting versions. A number of new guns have been leaked over the course of the last few months, and it will be interesting to see how the meta changes in the next season. Hopefully, the list – which currently sits at 20 – will be expanded quite a bit. Take fishing a step further We’ve already seen Small Fry, Floppers, and Slurpfish added to Fortnite in the past – each could be used to heal in-game. As well as this, there are also the Rusty Cans and super rare Mythic Goldfish to grab. Weekly challenges have been pretty easy in recent times, meaning that they have been something of a simple box-ticking exercise rather than actually challenging. Now, there’s one way that could make challenges much more interesting, and the idea has already been explored in-game. If you consider the success of fishing features in Minecraft and Animal Crossing, basing it off real fish types, Fortnite could create its own original set of fish that can be caught in-game. Catching specific species could be a part of weeklies, and if we are really going underwater, perhaps different regions of the map could be filled with certain types. Having to catch them with skill would be something interesting to add, and could double down on it with a pure fishing LTM later in the season. Different, but very possible. More vehicles! There have been some amazing vehicles added to Fortnite Battle Royale over the years, whether it be X-4 Stormwing planes, Ballers, or something like the Quadcrasher. Many of those wouldn’t be much used if the island is covered in water, though, so we should be expecting a fleet of new water vehicles for the new season. This could include boats of various sizes, perhaps even go back to our routes from Chapter 1 and bring back some pirate vessels, or go futuristic and bring in hovercrafts and planes that can land in the sea. POIs on shore Last, but certainly not least, is points of interest that remain higher than sea level. This could be done in several ways, whether it be the peaks of mountains heavily stocked with buildings and supplies, islands in different parts of the map, or – more interestingly – floating cities. These could be hoisted up on inflatable, similar to floating markets that are seen in Asia. Underwater we could have the last remnants of old locations, with debris floating on top of the water, too. Overall, while we’re all for deep diving in the water in Season 3, it would be highly unlikely that everything would be submerged, so keeping some locations on the surface would be ideal. So, there we have it! That’s our wish list for Fortnite Season 3 ahead of its release – and it’s not long now until we get to see the real thing! Stick with Dexerto for all of the breaking news, leaks, and guides ahead of the game’s next major patch.

Fortnite Season 3 LTM hotfix reveals details about upcoming events – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 LTM hotfix reveals details about upcoming events Epic GamesEpic Games has shipped a hotfix to v13.20 overnight with some key details outlining the new limited-time modes (LTMs) coming to Fortnite in Season 3. LTMs are back in Fortnite. With the Summer Splash event just around the corner, exciting game modes featuring interesting rules will be open to all once again. Some LTMs, like The Floor is Lava, have been massive hits with players. Because they’re only in-game for a short period of time, everyone usually hops on for a bit of fun before swapping back to the regular battle royale experience. While the LTMs were meant to be a secret for the most part, Fortnite doesn’t work like that. A secret hotfix deployed on July 1 has revealed just which modes players will get to play in the coming days. The upcoming LTMs in the rotation will be Blitz, High Explosives, Shotguns Only, and Unvaulted. The Blitz and High Explosive LTMs have been used before in various events previously. If you need a refresher on each of these game modes, or want to know what the new ones are about, here’s a quick rundown: Blitz: Faster-paced version of the original Battle Royale. Storm shrinks faster, materials are harvested faster, et cetera. – High Explosives: The only weapons players can use are explosives. – Shotguns Only (Close Encounters): The only weapons players can use are shotguns and other short-ranged weapons. – Unvaulted: Weapons that have previously been vaulted will be making a return in this LTM. This is an entirely new LTM. – The specific hotfixes targeted different things, according to Fortnite dataminer ‘HYPEX’. The rate of ammo box spawns has been altered slightly for Blitz, there will be no bots on High Explosives, and both the Shotguns Only and Unvaulted modes will have some weapons disabled. In the Shotguns Only mode, this includes the unreleased Dragon weapon. The double-barrel type shotty could be months down the line, so depending on when Shotguns Only is released, it may not even be in the game. Epic just hotfixed these LTMs (they are the next LTMs rotations): – Blitz: Ammo box min spawn rate: 85%, max: 95% – High Explosives: disabled bots – Shotguns Only: they disabled the unreleased dragon shotgun – Unvaulted: they disabled some weapons— HYPEX (@HYPEX) July 2, 2020 There’s no indication when some of the other announced LTMs, like Fog of War, Catch!, and more will be rotated in and out. You’ll just have to keep an eye on the client until your favorite comes back.

Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals new details about cars: speeds & features – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals new details about cars: speeds & features Epic Games[jwplayer ibznrzc6]More leaks are emerging that suggest Fortnite will soon deliver on its promise of bringing in cars to the game while also providing more details of their capabilities, speed, health, and more. People have been waiting for cars to come to the battle royale ever since the turn of the Fortnite story a couple of seasons ago. While it looked promising, the devs rained on players’ parades by flooding the map for their last couple of events. This provided an obvious obstacle for the land-based automobiles, and it conjured up the question of when Fortnite would have enough land to allow for the four-wheeled vehicles. Although it remains to be seen when the vehicles will be added, new leaks from prominent dataminer ‘VastBlast’ are providing nitty-gritty information and stats for the cars once they are added to the island. The files after the v13.30 patch contain how cars will be able to gain metal by hitting objects, similar to how Brutes did in seasons past. Meanwhile, there’s evidence of Tire and Brake Skids, that require a minimum speed of 20 and 10, respectively. Speaking of how fast they can go, VastBlast saw that the max speed for the vehicles will be between 28-45, which they think will depend on the type of car you have. That should be a good speed for people to skip around the map or get a safe rotation, especially considering that they’ll have 500 health, according to the leaked info. -Car Leaks Part 2- (thread) (1/3) -Mechanics: –You gain metal when you hit stuff (similar to brute). –You will be able to do Tire Skids (min speed of 20). –You will be able to do Brake Skids (min speed of 10). –There will be handbrakes that are useable.— VastBlast (@VastBlast) July 22, 2020 (3/3) -On explode: –Deals 800 damage to buildings. –Deals 200 damage to players (close range). –Deals 50 damage to players (long range).— VastBlast (@VastBlast) July 22, 2020 For those looking to deal some pain to buildings and players, an exploding car will hit structures for 800 damage and 200 damage to a player at a close distance or 50 from long range. “Gas Pumps and/or the Petrol Jerrycans” will let players keep their cars’ fuel tank at capacity in case they’re running low, which means we could see map chances and new items added along with the vehicles. There’s a lot more to find out about how cars will operate in Fortnite’s chaotic island, but if the timing is anything to consider, we could have more information as Season 3 progresses to its next big update.

Fortnite Season 3 leak shows two upcoming weapons that could counter rampant vehicle meta – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 leak shows two upcoming weapons that could counter rampant vehicle meta Epic GamesA leaked Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 trailer suggests two new weapons are coming soon. These weapons can potentially serve as perfect counters to the OP vehicle meta that’s running rampant. The latest Fortnite season is running wild with a new vehicle meta that has arrived and has led to some frustration among players. Players can claim The Mythic Nitro Cars by defeating Wastelander bosses on the Wrecked island, which are extremely overpowered. Some have suggested countermeasures to stay alive during a confrontation with one of the three meta vehicles. However, sadly none of those have proven as effective as they thought. Turns out, two upcoming weapons that will soon be added to Chapter 5 Season 3, according to a leaked trailer by HYPEX, could be perfect counters for these rampant cars. These include a reworked Minigun and a Towhook Gun which fires a hook and can attach to vehicles. While the Minigun is suitable for spray-and-pray, the Towhook Gun can help players attach themselves to a vehicle and break down the turret on top of the car easily by firing a hook and some hard-hitting shots. Furthermore, if you’ve got Ringmaster Scarr’s medallion, you’ll have infinite ammo on your Minigun which can take things to the next level. Several players who saw the video turned in their thoughts, with one player saying, “The minigun with infinite ammo is gonna be so fun.” Another chimed in, “TowHook Gun is actually so cool. I want to use this to overtake vehicles then.” A third wrote, “This should’ve been day 1 content, to be honest.” A fourth suggested, “Hopefully the minigun will abate some of the crying about cars as it is a fantastic anti-car weapon. We do need more counterplay options.” Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has opened to criticism by players and pros alike. Even Ninja turned in his thoughts brutally and said the new season was for “losers” and he’d like to “shoot guns” at the end of the day.

Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals in-depth look at six upcoming vehicles – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals in-depth look at six upcoming vehicles Epic Games[jwplayer ibznrzc6]Fortnite Season 3 is gearing up for the release of six new vehicle types and a huge leak has revealed all of the features that will be coming alongside them. As first spotted in the Season 3 launch trailer, many new vehicles are coming soon to Epic’s hugely popular Battle Royale. From trucks to taxis and plenty more, dedicated players have been speculating when they might be able to find the new additions in-game. A recent leak outed that the cars will be dropping into Fortnite on July 21. Just 24 hours later, now even more information has slipped through the cracks. Additional leaks have uncovered everything from vehicle health to brand new fuel mechanics. 🏎️Car Infographics | Release Date: 21st of July 🛻 Stats from @HYPEX Car Types + Gas Pump Hose info from Me pic.twitter.com/7aZjZL00j2— iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) July 6, 2020 All of the upcoming cars have a deeper set of features than previous vehicles in Fortnite. They’ll have a set amount of fuel that drains over time and new gas pumps will be scattered throughout the map, allowing players to refuel if they’re running on empty. Divided into four distinct categories, the vehicles are defined as: Trucks, Smalls Cars, Medium Cars, and Large Cars. Each of these comes with its own unique statistics. Some are more fuel-efficient, while others can sustain more damage. While you can hop in and instantly start driving any of these vehicles, you’ll need to be cautious of your fuel consumption. Every second that you’re driving, fuel will be burned at a pretty staggering rate. This is to ensure that players can’t stay in the one vehicle forever. Not without finding a gas pump, at least. Large Cars will have the greatest fuel capacity of any new vehicle type, capable of holding 150 fuel, 50 more than any other car. However, it also burns through fuel quicker than any other car as well. Simply driving at a regular speed will cost 0.75 fuel per second. Meanwhile, boosting will run you 9 fuel per second. With a full tank of gas, this means you’ll only be able to drive Large Cars for roughly 17 seconds while boosting. Moreover, cars can also run out of fuel if they’ve been hit by opposing players. All of the vehicle types will leak two fuel per second if they are damaged. Shooting even a Common weapon at a vehicle could be well worth your time. Draining the fuel of your opponents is a surefire way to have them bail from their car. Basic Cars, Basic Trucks, Big Rigs, Police Cars, Taxi Cabs, and Sports Cars will all be dropping into Fortnite Season 3 on July 21. There’s no telling exactly where they may spawn, nor how many will appear in each game. However, Epic has clearly designed them with trade offs in-place. While they will help you get across the map quickly, fuel will eventually run out. It’s going to be a balancing act getting the most out of the new cars. Keep your eyes peeled for our guides once the vehicles are available.

Fortnite Season 3 landing spots guide: most chests, vehicles, and more – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 landing spots guide: most chests, vehicles, and more Epic GamesSome of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 have been revealed as some players have counted up the areas which have the most chests and loot available from the start of a match. With the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3, Epic Games introduced a whole host of map changes. Most of the map has been covered in water and new areas like The Fortilla and Catty Corner have been introduced. Though, while plenty of fan-favorite spots remain, as players have had the chance to experience the new map, they’ve started to settle on their new favorite landing spots. Catty Corner and The Fortilla both have vaults that can be entered for top tier loot, but what about when it comes to chests and normal floor spawns? Fortnite Season 3 POIs with most chests Well, LootLake, a website that lets players see what locations have the most chests and when they can find vehicle spawns have revealed the best spots so far. Perhaps surprisingly, Misty Meadows – a holdover location from the previous map – has the most chest spawns at 45. These are spread out around the area, but you can find 27 just sat in the main town part. After that, the area around Catty Corner has 37 chests on offer while The Fortilla follows closely behind with 31 chests spawning nearby. Retail Row clocks in at fourth place with 30 chests in total. Fortnite Season 3 POIs with most vehicles If it’s vehicles that you seek, The Fortilla also stands out as it has 15 boats up for grabs. You can even grab a helicopter nearby too. Elsewhere, Sandy Shores also has 17 boat spawns and a helicopter, while Frenzy Farm has its own helicopter spawn and a further seven boats. Of course, players have their own set spots that they like to land at and then others that they will rotate to once the storm circle has been decided. Though, these maps could help you if you want to change up those spots and also see what you need to avoid off the rip if you’re not about getting into early fights.

Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals five new types of fish coming soon – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 leak reveals five new types of fish coming soon Epic GamesSeason 3 of Fortnite has submerged most of the map and it looks as though new sea life will be migrating into the popular battle royale in the near future. Epic Games deployed the major seasonal update on June 17, introducing an overhauled map along with all-new means of traversal across the aquatic landscape. While the loot pool was expanded at the launch of the new season, players can expect even more additions as the weeks go by. New weapons and new locations have already slipped through the cracks. Now, the latest leak has uncovered five new types of fish in the game’s files. Players have grown familiar with the Flopper, the Slurpfish, and even the extremely rare Mythic Goldfish. But the community could soon have a wider variety of sea creatures waiting for them in the ocean. Leaked upcoming floppers, (h/t @intercelluar) i just checked and these are real, they exist in the fishing spots loot pool but they are disabled, which means epic is still testing them: – Thermal Flopper – Shield Flopper – Jelly Flopper – Hop Flopper (hop rocks?) – Fire Flopper— HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 25, 2020 Prominent Fortnite dataminer ‘HYPEX’ verified a June 25 claim from ‘intercelluar.’ This claim alleged that “Fortnite is planning on adding new Flopper variants to the game.” This information proved to be accurate as files for five new types of fish were discovered “in the fishing spots loot pool.” For the time being, these new items “are disabled.” While players can’t currently cast a line and hook the new fish, “Epic is still testing them,” meaning they should eventually be added into the battle royale live state. The new items being tested cover a wide array of functions. Here’s an overview of all five fish types that could soon be in Fortnite Season 3: Thermal Flopper – Shield Flopper – Jelly Flopper – Hop Flopper – Fire Flopper – There’s no telling exactly how these new items will shake up the battle royale title. Though assumptions can be made based on the titles. Shield Flopper will obviously provide some amount of shield upon use. The Hop Flopper could boost your jumping height for a short window of time. While the Thermal or Fire Floppers could deal damage over time with the new fire-spreading mechanic in Season 3. No potential release date has been outlined for the new Floppers. With no images of the items in-game, it’s likely they’re still a ways off. “I think they’re still quite early in development,” the leaker said. “So might take a while before they’re finally shipped.” As more and more leaks float to the surface throughout Fortnite’s latest season, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest reveals.

Fortnite Season 3 & Device event delayed again – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 & Device event delayed again Epic GamesAfter having already postponed the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 and their in-game ‘Device’ event, Epic Games has announced that both will be further delayed once more. On June 3, the developers announced that they are pushing the event back to June 15 and the upcoming season to June 17 in order to properly allow space for their communities to focus on the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement. Like Infinity Ward’s decision to postpone Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s next season, the decision-makers behind Fortnite are prioritizing the focus needed on social issues over celebratory in-game content. In a statement released on their website, Epic Games emphasized their awareness of the ongoing movement’s vitality and how, despite the excitement over Fortnite’s future, they want to “balance the Season 3 launch” with the social work being undertaken by their team and communities. This is the second time that both Season 3 and the Device event have been postponed. On May 28, Epic pushed back both launch dates to June 11 and June 6, respectively, so that their team could make sure everything was perfected on each launch day. When does Fortnite Season 3 start? Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 will now be starting on June 17, allowing some much-needed time for employees to amplify their involvement in a nationwide movement. Based on prior seasons and leaks sourced by dataminers, substantial changes are expected, including new weapons and items, in addition to another Battle Pass and story. Specifically, regarding the map, there are indications that parts of the island will become flooded, based on the leaked icon for the new season. When is the Device event? As for the upcoming event, previously dubbed the Doomsday event by leakers, it is now scheduled to launch on June 15—two days ahead of Season 3. Based on said leakers, the in-game event is expected to center around The Agency, with the Shadow vs Ghost storyline from Season 2 continuing as the popular area gets fully destroyed by some sort of massive explosion. While it’s unclear whether that change will be caused by the event or happen during it, the Fortnite community is excited to get going and find out what exactly is going on in the popular battle royale’s storyline. On the bright side, these new delays will at least grant the playe-base even more time to complete their Battle Pass challenges, as well as wrapping up any last-minute business they might have on the island.

Fortnite Season 3 Device event may hint at The Visitor’s return – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 Device event may hint at The Visitor’s return Epic GamesA new theory has emerged in the Fortnite community, stating that the Visitor may be set to return as part of Fortnite Chapter Two’s upcoming third season. Fortnite Season 3 has now been delayed multiple times. Firstly because of issues at Epic Games, and then because of the equality protests sweeping across much of the United States. However, barring any further delays, it looks set for a June 17 start date. This second delay also pushed the mysterious Device live event back to June 15, allowing fans more time to speculate what will happen. Leaks so far suggest the whole map will be flooded, but details remain scarce. One new theory has emerged, suggesting that The Visitor – from Chapter One, Season 4 – could be about to make another appearance. In Bunker Jonesy’s Season 9 drawing, fans can just about make out an island with palm trees, something we can now identify as a hint to Chapter Two. One Redditor – u/Racoco802 – has speculated that there’s also an image of a dam collapsing. The only dam that we’ve seen in Fortnite is Hydro Dam, on the outskirts of Misty Meadows. The Redditor also pointed to old excerpts from The Visitor’s recordings, which refer to “triggering the device”. It has been widely taken that the devices being referenced were Rift Beacons from Season X but, with so much emphasis being placed on the ‘Device Event’, they may have been another hint at Chapter 2’s narrative, much like Bunker Jonesy’s drawings. The Redditor concludes: “My theory is that during the event The Visitor/The Scientist will open a rift above Hydro 16 Dam and come to our map.” As far as theories go, this is one of the more believable ones we’ve seen. The map certainly looks to be flooded in some way, but could it all be at the hands of The Visitor? Only time will tell, but past events have proved how much Epic like to drop hints and teasers to mess with Fortnite’s fan-base.

Fortnite leak suggests a desert theme for Chapter 4 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite leak suggests a desert theme for Chapter 4 Season 3 Epic GamesFiles found in a recent Fortnite update point to a desert or tropical theme for the upcoming Chapter 4 Season 3 rollout. The crew at Epic Games isn’t expected to deploy Fortnite Chapter 4‘s third season until at least early June. Thus, the studio is unlikely to share any official details about the update for several more weeks. As always, Epic’s silence never prevents leaks and rumors from making the rounds online… and the latest leak could very well offer insight into the next chapter’s overall theme. Should newly datamined details prove correct, the forthcoming season may focus on a dry, yet tropical aesthetic of some kind. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 leak hints at desert theme According to dataminer and Twitter user Wenso, Epic Games’ 24.20 update for Fortnite added files related to “Chapter 4-specific palm trees and cacti.” The leaker noted that when considering some of the survey skins currently in development, the files indicate that Season 3 could revolve around a “desert/tropical theme.” In a subsequent Twitter post, Wenso shared images of the current palm tree textures as they appear in the files in question. While the above information may seem a good indicator of things to come, it’s best to take the leaks with a grain of salt. As of yet, there is no confirmation on what Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3’s theme will involve. The currently active second season leans on futuristic Neo-Tokyo inspirations, which come complete with a colorful aesthetic. Season 2 will end on June 2 according to the in-game Battle Pass menu, meaning Season 3 shouldn’t be too far behind.

Fortnite Season 3 Blaze skin allegedly causes major FPS issues – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 3 Blaze skin allegedly causes major FPS issues Epic GamesFortnite players have called on Epic Games to address bugs with new Season 3 character cosmetics, such as the Blaze skin, after they were seemingly found to cause significant FPS issues in the popular battle royale title. [jwplayer F3fkHUJH]Fortnite offers players a huge selection of in-game cosmetics, which can be purchased or earned through completing challenges, allowing players to customize their character to their liking before dropping into a match. However, it was revealed that some of the new cosmetic items in Season 3 may actually be having a negative effect on the overall gameplay experience, following reports of framerate issues that may be tied to the new skins. Epic Games introduced a ton of changes in Fortnite’s long-awaited Season 3, including a flooded map, new weapons, and even more character skins and cosmetics for players to unlock. Although Season 3 features some incredible designs, one Fortnite player, Dety0, who is known for sharing tips on improving FPS in the Epic’s battle royale, claimed that there were problems with some of the latest skins. Dety0 highlighted issues with the lava-themed ‘Blaze’ skin, in particular, a variant of the classic Renegade Raider character which had returned to Fortnite’s Item Shop, adding that it could lower in-game frame rate anywhere between 30-70 FPS when equipped. https://twitter.com/Dety0/status/1278794324805853184 “The new [Season] 3 Blaze Skin + Backbling lowers your FPS anywhere from 30-70 FPS, and the same happens if your teammate/enemy wears it,” he added. After it was revealed that this FPS bug was even taking place for players who were near an enemy or teammate with the skin, Fortnite star Nick Eh 30 was among those to voice concerns over the issue. https://twitter.com/Dety0/status/1278991810384330752 The streamer simply asked if players with cosmetics such as the Blaze skin had to be in your field-of-vision to affect the frame rate, which Dety0 later confirmed to be the case. While simpler skins such as the default characters supposedly have fewer issues with editing delay and frame rate lag in Fortnite, there is little that can be done to stop others from choosing this skin and affecting the gameplay of their fellow players. Although many Fortnite fans have called on Epic devs to address this issue, they have not yet commented on the bizarre frame rate bugs.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 delayed & Device event announced – Dexerto
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 delayed & Device event announced Epic GamesEpic Games has pushed back the start date of Fortnite Season 3 to June 11, and also pushed back the in-game event that was due to take place on May 30. The team at Epic explained that the reason for the delay was to get everything ready for the new season, and also that the in-game event, called Device, will take place on June 6. They also explained that players will be able to make use of the extra time to complete their battle pass challenges. When does Fortnite Season 3 start? Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 will now start on Thursday, June 11 – a one week delay from it’s originally scheduled start date. A delay to the start of a new season won’t come as much of a surprise to most players, considering how the past two seasons have similarly been delayed. When is the Device event? Epic have revealed that the leaked in-game event, previously rumored to be called Doomsday, will be happening on Saturday, June 6 at 2PM ET. The event will be a one-time-only experience, so there won’t be any reruns, meaning you’ll need to be there on time to catch it in-game. Read More: It’s recommended that you show up 30 minutes early to get into a game successfully – you don’t want to be waiting in the lobby when it’s on! The event was previously being dubbed the Doomsday event by leakers, but no official name had been given. As for what will happen, leakers have again given us some clues. The Agency POI looks like it will be getting totally destroyed, and left as a ruin, so Season 3 will clearly still be continuing the Shadow vs Ghost storyline from Season 2. Whether this map change happens as a result of the Device event or not, is unclear. After all, there is almost a week between the event itself and the new season starting. These in-game events are always a big community gathering though, and do a great job of bringing players together around one special moment. It might just be the boost Fortnite needs before dropping into a new season.

Fortnite Season 2 Week 8 challenges and rewards leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 Week 8 challenges and rewards leaked Epic GamesThe week 8 set of challenges for Fortnite has been leaked and with the focus remaining on Skye, players are going to have to go on another hunt around the map. Epic Games have continued to update their uber-popular battle royale, Fortnite, as Chapter 2, Season 2 has gone on – giving fans plenty of new content to enjoy across the map, while keeping the NPC agents that were introduced at the start of the season in a prominent role. Aside from fighting them for mythical weapons at a number of locations around the battle royale island, the five new agents have all lent their names to challenges. With week 8 approaching, the spotlight continues to shine on Skye. According to Fortnite dataminer iFireMonkey, the week eight set of tasks will continue on in the Skye’s Adventure name and want players to use the new items that arrived in the game with the v12.30 update. These challenges, which will each reward players with 40,000 XP, will have you deflecting damage with a Kingsman umbrella, landing on the Crash Pads, and taking down enemies with both Pistols and SMGs. Fortnite Skye Week 8 Challenges Search Chests at Landmarks – 10 – Eliminate players with SMGs from within 15 meters – 3 – Hit 5 consecutive weak points while harvesting materials – 3 – Fly a Choppa under Purple, Red, and Blue Steel Bridge – 1 – Stoke a Campfire, Consume Foraged Apple, Consume Foraged Mushroom – 1 – Land at the Shark and visit The Agency in the same match – 1 – Hit Pistol headshots on players or Henchmen – 10 – Search Skye’s sword in a stone found in high places – 5 – Block damages with a Kingsman – 200 – Bounce on Crash Pads in different matches – 3 – Finally! As usual, completing just one of these challenges will land you with a Deadpool-themed cosmetic – with week eight allowing you to claim the unmasked skin style. Fortnite Deadpool Week 8 Challenges Find Deadpool’s pool floaty – 1 – Dance at Deadpool’s yacht party – 1 – Yep! And there appears to be a Week 9 challenge set that Epic Games has yet to update. Here is next weeks [Week 8] challenges: https://t.co/iaTS6y7CnH pic.twitter.com/poopR2Juv7 — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) April 4, 2020 Of course, the leaker has been ultra-reliable in the past and Epic doesn’t usually change things once they’re in the files, but these challenges could be tweaked before they go live. We’ll just have to wait and see if that is the case but, for now, these are the challenges you’ve got to look forward to.

Fortnite Season 2 Week 6 challenges and rewards leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 Week 6 challenges and rewards leaked Epic GamesFollowing the v12.21 update, the Fortnite challenges for Week 6 have been leaked – with the in-game tasks giving fans to rack up some hefty amounts of XP and some Deadpool-themed cosmetics. Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has been all about the Top Secret – with Epic Games adding five NPC bosses to the battle royale that you can takedown for some pretty sweet loot. In addition to that, the new characters have also taken over the pre-game lobby and weekly challenges. We’ve already had quests for TNTina and Brutus – each lasting for two separate weeks. Week five saw Meowscles’ Mischief added to the mix, and with week six being his second batch of challenges, you’ll want to get them finished up before they are replaced by challenges for a different boss. The week six challenges for both Meowscles and Deadpool were leaked by Fortnite dataminer iFireMonkey – with the tasks centered on exploring the map. Players will have to do traditional tasks like search chests at certain locations, bust out a dance move at others, and manage to deal damage to enemies with a particular set of weapons. These are all pretty standard challenges that we’ve seen in Fortnite before, but that doesn’t make them easy. Fortnite Meowscles Week 6 Challenges Search Chests at Frenzy Farm or Steamy Stacks – 10 – Deal damage to players using Assault Rifles – 1000 – Search a chest within 10 seconds after landing from the Battle Bus – 10 – Deal damage to players while riding in a Choppa – 200 – Catch a weapon, a can, and fish – 1 – Eliminate opponents at The Yacht or Salty Springs – 5 – Destroy dog houses – 3 – Block damage with a Decoy Grenade – 100 – Dance at Lake Canoe, Camp Cod, and Rainbow Rentals – 1 – Ride the Steamy Stacks, a Zipline, and use a secret passage in a single match – 1 – Each of the Meowscles challenges is worth a pretty hefty 40,000 XP, so players can get a pretty nice boost for their battle passes if you manage to complete a few of them. As well as those challenges, the weekly Deadpool tasks have also got two new things to complete – retrieving his big black marker and defacing either GHOST or SHADOW posters around the map. Deadpool Week 6 Challenges https://t.co/HbqFiM7fGj pic.twitter.com/XIeESPQKyk — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) March 17, 2020 Fortnite Deadpool Week 6 Challenges Find Deadpool’s Big Black Marker – 1 – Deface GHOST or SHADOW recruitment posters – 3 – With each agent only having two weeks of challenges each, it won’t be long before Meowslces is finished up and the focus switches to someone else. What the next bunch of challenges will ask you with doing remains to be seen, but for now, its worth grabbing the XP on offer from Meowscles.

Fortnite Season 2 Week 7 challenges and rewards leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 Week 7 challenges and rewards leaked Epic GamesThe week 7 set of challenges for Fortnite has been leaked following the V12.30 update – with the focus switching to Skye, as well as some all-new Deadpool-related tasks. As the weeks have passed in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, Epic Games have continued to sprinkle some all-new content on their hugely popular battle royale. The new season has retained it’s Top Secret theme with each NPC agent being given their moment in the spotlight with new challenges. Following the V12.30 update – which introduced crash pads to prevent fall damage, the Kingsman Umbrella item, and fixed a whole heap of bugs – that focus now switches to Skye, the character that players can battle at The Shark. As a result, according to Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, the leaked week seven challenges are named Skye’s Adventure and they task players with taking a little trip around the map to tick off a few tasks. These challenges, which each have a reward of 40,000 XP, range from meeting Skye at The Shark, to visiting her Coastal Campsites, and even taking down a Henchman with a shot of the Harpoon Gun. Fortnite Skye Week 7 Challenges Search Chests at Spy Bases – 7 – Deal damage to players using SMGs or Pistols – 400 – Mark an Uncommon, Rare, and Epic item – 1 – Collect 75 of each material within 60 seconds after landing from the Battle Bus – 3 – Hide in a Creepin’ Cardboard at the Box Factory – 1 – Consume Forage Items at Weeping Woods or The Orchard – 10 – Visit The Shark, Rapid’s Rest, and Gorgeous Gorge – 1 – Escape a Vault using a Secret Passage – 1 – Visit Skye’s coastal campsites – 3 – In addition to those challenges, iFireMonkey also leaked the Deadpool related quests that players will also be able to find in week seven. As usual, you will have to find an item for the Marvel superhero – with week seven being all about his two pistols. Completing at least one of the two Deadpool challenges will, as ever, reward you with a cosmetic. Fortnite Deadpool Week 7 Challenges Find Deadpool’s 2 Pistols – 1 – Enter a Phone Booth or Portapotty to become the Super-est of Superheroes – 1 – Though the data miner has proven to be pretty reliable in the past, these challenges could very well change before they are released in-game – though, that hasn’t happened in the past. Once they go live, however, you will only have a week to tick them off before the new round of challenges makes their way into Fortnite.

Fortnite Season 2 Week 3 challenges and rewards leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 Week 3 challenges and rewards leaked Epic GamesFollowing the v12.10 update, the Fortnite challenges for weeks 3 and 4 have leaked – with the Deadpool challenges offering some pretty nice rewards. After the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 back in October, fans were clamoring for the weekly updates and new content that helped propel the game to huge popularity prior to Chapter 2. They got their answer on March 3, as the v12.10 update dropped in the early hours of the morning, adding the previously teased Proximity Mines to the game, while Epic Games also addressed some bug fixes. As ever, data miners have been hard at work to show fans what else they can expect in the coming weeks, leaking skin, cosmetics, weapons, and challenges. Fortnite week 3 challenges The leaked challenges for week 3, and even week 4, are the leaks we want to focus on here though. These new quests play into the theme of the new season, Top Secret, with them bearing the name of one of the new boss characters – TNTINA, according to leaker iFireMonkey. As you might expect, with these being TNTINA challenges, you will have to explore her side of the map near The Rig, as well as use some pretty hefty explosive weapons to deal damage across week 3. Fortnite week 4 challeneges Week 4 is a similar story, however, players will seemingly have to head to more populated areas like The Agency, Sweaty Sands, and Risky Reels to tick off some of the challenges. Fortnite Deadpool week 3 and 4 challenges Aside from those missions, the Deadpool tasks for the weeks 3 and 4 have also surfaced amid all the leaks. Though, there are only two challenges for players to complete each week, so it should be pretty simple to check them off. Though instead of being rewarded with lots of XP to level up, completing the Deadpool challenges will land players with new cosmetics in the form of a Back Bling and unique spray. Of course, this type of leak have proven to be reliable and correct in the past, but Epic Games could very well tweak things before they go live in-game. We’ll just have to wait and see if the developers stick to the guns. If not, everyone can get a headstart by knowing what they’ll need to do.

Fortnite Season 2 teaser hints at the return of a hero from Chapter 1 – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 teaser hints at the return of a hero from Chapter 1 Epic GamesAs Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 inches closer, the latest teaser from Epic Games could hint at the return of a Season 4 fan-favorite character. It’s officially teaser season in Fortnite as players wait for the next season to begin on February 20. Lots of theories and rumors are flying around out there, so it’s really hard to figure out what’s accurate and what’s not. Classified == Unredacted ████ == ████ Codename == ████ FN.CH02.S02 022020 pic.twitter.com/dUBTm46Fr1— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) February 18, 2020 One possible theory that does seem possible is the upcoming season could see a return of Carbide. This character was introduced all the way back in Season 4 in Chapter 1, so only longtime players will know anything about this character. He actually ended up being one of the first skins that had alternate styles, so he was a trailblazer in that aspect. The most recent teaser from Epic Games, which shows what appears to be an exploding propane tank, features a bunch of objects scattered around it. Fortnite leaker HYPEX put the pieces together and discovered they actually resemble the Carbide base logo from Season 4. He then made the connection to the unreleased Omega remix for the skin, possibly indicating that Epic might be gearing up to finally introduce it. When you put the pieces together from today’s teaser you get the carbide base logo from Season 4.. And there’s an unreleased Omega Remix.. maybe they’ll make a return with a new look ? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/ANVVSKttWK— HYPEX (@HYPEX) February 18, 2020 Of course, there’s no definitive way to prove if this is the case one way or another, so all players can do in the meantime is speculate. Skins making returns from previous seasons isn’t anything new, so this would certainly be within the realm of possibilities. With Season 2 kicking off in just a matter of days, players won’t have to wait long to find out what Epic have in store. It’s likely the developer will drop another round of teasers before the launch, so fans should have some more to digest just before the launch of the new season. After a relatively quiet start to Chapter 2, Epic Games are certainly closing things out with a bang.

Fortnite Season 2 teaser reveals cryptic “Midas” message – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 teaser reveals cryptic “Midas” message Epic GamesExcitement surrounding Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has gone up another level with Epic Games releasing even more teasers for the game’s next major patch, with a cryptic “Midas” message. There had previously been two rounds of developing teasers revealed by the game’s developers, hinting at not only new locations that may soon appear in the popular game mode, but also the return of Dynamite and introduction of other explosives too. Gold has been the common theme running through the Season 2 advertising so far, with a huge handprint taking center-stage at first, before a whole host of other graphics were released – teasing an agency hack, potentially a new material coming soon, and more. So, let’s take a look at the game’s latest teaser, shall we? Epic Games released brand new teaser material for Fortnite Season 2 on February 19, giving fans a greater idea of what to expect. It was revealed using the official Fortnite Twitter account, as seen below, hinting at even more changes in the near future. Now, by connecting the letters from all teasers that have been released so far, it appears that “Midas” has been spelled out – which may be a reference to the gold King Midas, cited in Greek mythology. Following a number of Fortnite leaks that suggested gold might well be added to the game as a material, joining the current crop of mats in the battle royale game (wood, brick and metal), the precious metal has featured heavily in the advertising ever since – as seen below. Other changes teased Aside from the obvious addition of gold, which has already been found in Season 1 actually, a number of other interesting clues have been found in the teasers, including a new boat, potentially a change of weather – with lightning bolts featuring in broken glass shards – and more. If you would like to see all previous teasers, those for February 17 and February 18 can be seen in our Fortnite section, with even more expected to come in the near future. The game’s next major update is set for a February 20 release date, so fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what’s in store for them.

Fortnite Season 2 new items leaked: Proximity Mine, Disguise Kit, more – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 new items leaked: Proximity Mine, Disguise Kit, more Epic GamesThree new items have been leaked and could be coming soon in Fortnite Chapter 2, with one of them already featured in the Season 2 Battle Pass trailer. As is normally the case, data miners have been hard at work, sieving through the game’s files following a surprise update from the developers on February 25, which addressed both aim assist and editing issues. Sometimes nothing can come from these hotfixes from a leaking standpoint, although it appears that a handful of new items have been added to the game for testing. At the time of writing, none of them have appeared in-game, although that doesn’t mean to say we won’t see them soon. New items coming soon to Fortnite Season 2 Proximity Mine First off, let’s start with the one that’s already been spotted in the Battle Pass trailer for this season – Proximity Mines. This item hasn’t been added to the popular battle royale game just yet, but we’ve already seen what’s it is capable of as it was included in the Fortnite Season 2 Battle Pass trailer, as seen below. (Timestamp in video below at 0:53) For those who were wondering just when it would be introduced, they might not be waiting much longer. HYPEX has tweeted a picture of the Mine, including its description: “Mine that explodes when an enemy is close.” Here’s the upcoming Proximity Mine’s Icon! Max stack of 6. PNG Icon: https://t.co/Z8lnCxLPix pic.twitter.com/rAv0gqcgNe— HYPEX (@HYPEX) February 21, 2020 Disguise Kit The second leaked item is the Disguise Kit. Those who regularly jump from the Battle Bus will know that there have been a number of new points of interest added since the season begun, with NPC players protecting different areas of the map from intruders. There, a number of lucrative loot chests and vaults can be found, but only accessed by scanning the face of a knocked NPC. While it’s still unconfirmed, this leaked Disguise Kit – tweeted out by data miner iFireMonkey – may be an easier way of accessing the loot at these destinations. It would be a useful addition, too, as sometimes the NPC guards are pretty tough to take down, like Brutus. Consumable Item Leak: It appears a portable Disguise kit is in the works. It has the same data tag as the wearable Bush and will most likely work in a very simple way of allowing you to disguise yourself on the run instead of using a phone booth. pic.twitter.com/JHxbQkrQ6d — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) February 23, 2020 Security Plans Finally, the third item – courtesy of Lucas7yoshi – is called Security Plans and from the three, is by far the most difficult to figure out a purpose for. It has been filed under ammo in the data files, according to the leaker, and is likely to be incorporated into a challenge at some stage. This is some sort of item thing, its actually under Ammo for whatever reason based on the file name i think its related to the dude in the second image’s loading screen idk the full details, probably for a challenge pic.twitter.com/kAPHqXkFY6 — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) February 22, 2020 Once we have more information on these items, we’ll be the first to let you know. However, if we had to hazard a guess, it would be that the Proximity Mine is the furthest down the line in its development – hence being shown in an official trailer. You never know, though, they could all come at once in an upcoming patch.

Fortnite Season 2 teaser confirms return of old item – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 teaser confirms return of old item Epic GamesEpic Games have released a brand new Fortnite Chapter 2 teaser for Season 2, ramping up the hype as we approach the release of the game’s next major patch by appearing to confirm the return of an old item. Big changes are just around the corner for the popular battle royale title, with the v11.50 update expected to launch fully on February 20 and gold is seemingly going to be the color moving forward. Fortnite teasers have been revealed all around the world, featuring a large gold handprint on posters, phone numbers being plastered on billboards and snippets of information being revealed to those who dare to call the number. Now, though, we have even more information about what’s to come. It appears that an old item is going to return in Season 2: Dynamite. This was all but confirmed by the official Fortnite Twitter account on February 18, with the new image featuring a golden dynamite graphic. Aside from the gold, there’s also some other pieces of code in the background that fans will no doubt be analyzing in great length until the next teasing image is revealed. If gold is going to be the next material in Fortnite, is using explosives going to be the only way of destroying it? We’ll find out soon enough. In a follow-up to this teaser, Epic Games shared what appears to a propane tank, hinting that explosives could possibly play a big role in the game going forward. Then, later in the day, they shared a giant missile. However, on February 17 they decided to shake things up a little. The first teaser looked pretty bland, confirming the update’s release date (Feb 20) and had just a gold handprint. Fortnite Season 2 leak reveals details about ‘Infected’ LTM – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 leak reveals details about ‘Infected’ LTM Epic GamesEpic Games could be gearing up for the introduction of a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) in Fortnite as Season 2 leaks appear to hint at a new ‘Infected’ game type. While the dedicated Fortnite community still has plenty left to uncover in the major Season 2 update, recent leaks appear to hint at the potential addition of a brand new game type in the popular battle royale title. The new LTM could give players all-new abilities and functions that have never been seen in Fortnite before. In the iconic Infected mode that has made an appearance in all manner of competitive titles over the years from Halo to Call of Duty, survivors look to avoid infected players at all costs. Once an Infected player guns down or melees a survivor, their target will respawn as a fellow infected until the lobby is completely wiped out or the time limit ends. Prominent Fortnite data miner ‘iFireMonkey‘ has revealed that various lines of code in the new Season 2 update indicate such a game type making its way to Fortnite in the near future. Read More: How to open loot vaults in Fortnite Season 2 – “A new LTM is in the works,” they teased. “While it hasn’t been fully completed there are files that talk about an ‘Infected’ and ‘Survivor’ team.” LTM Leak: A new LTM is in the works, while it hasn’t been fully completed there are files that talk about an “”Infected”” and “”Survivor”” team. It has references to the following: – Infected – Survivors – Scream – Heartbeat – Growl – Double JumpNot much other than this is known. pic.twitter.com/bg0luAW8Lm — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) February 21, 2020 The images provided shed light on certain abilities from ‘growling’ and ‘screaming’ to an intriguing double jump function. Additionally, players appear to be split among two teams aptly labeled the ‘Survivors’ and the ‘Infected.’ There’s no indicating how many players will be dropped into a lobby with the new mode, but it’s likely the total count will be fewer than 100 players at a time given just how long rounds would last. No further information has been made available about the potential LTM just yet, but if teases are slipping through the cracks in Season 2 updates, Infected could be right around the corner. Also leaked ahead of an official update, new items are coming to Fortnite soon in the form of a Proximity Mine, Disguise Kit, and more.

Fortnite Season 2 Device event: Date, start time, leaks, more – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 Device event: Date, start time, leaks, more Epic GamesFortnite’s Doomsday Device event is almost upon us, but what is actually going to happen to the battle royale? Here is everything we know so far. With Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 drawing to a close, Epic Games have been building to one of their signature end of season cinematic events. The event in waiting centers on the device that is being constructed by Midas in the pre-game menu. Other clues have involved hatches popping up in the water outside of The Agency – with bubbles and smoke appearing around them. So, here is everything we know about what is happening with the device event. When is the Device event in Fortnite? The device event was supposed to happen on June 6, but Epic Games put another delay on the conclusion of season three before it could get underway. Barring yet another delay, the device event should, finally, happen on June 15 at around 7 pm BST/2 pm EDT/11 am PDT and 8 pm CEST – if Epic keeps the time that was scheduled for June. What will happen in Fortnite’s Device event? Well, no one is quite certain as to what will happen during the event but theories have cropped up centering around the doomsday device exploding and resetting parts of the map. In fact, leakers have even uncovered files that show what will become of The Agency. Other theories have suggested that The Visitor, was first seen back in the original season four, will play some sort of role. Players found mention from the character about a device that appeared to link it to Hydro Dam before that location was even ever in-game. Will the Fortnite map be flooded after the Devic event? The Fortnite map flooding has been a common suggestion from players after there have been claims that the new season will revolve around water, with new swimming animations even being added to the files. Fuel was added to that fire when the season three logo went live early on PlayStation – showing the battle bus flying above water. It very much remains to be seen if that will be the case, however. If you’re unable to get log into Fortnite during the event, streamers from across the globe will, no doubt, be streaming the event so you won’t miss any part of the action. But, check back closer to June 15 to find all the proper ways of watching the event.

Fortnite Season 2 leak hints at potential Travis Scott skin – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 2 leak hints at potential Travis Scott skin Epic Games / Wikimedia CommonsFortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has arrived and with it comes a brand-new set of leaks, one of which is suggesting Travis Scott could be getting his own skin. The start of a new season is an exciting time in Fortnite for everyone, as it means loads of new content has entered the game, from new guns to skins. It’s especially exciting for leakers and dataminers as they finally have something to dig through and they have discovered one prominent name in the files. Reliable Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi discovered a line that mentions Travis Scott, and it could actually hint to him getting his own skin at some point. (@Lucas7yoshi) February 20, 2020 This would make sense as Epic Games introduced the Icon Series last season and said they will be using it to introduce cosmetics for streamers and entertainers into Fortnite. Travis Scott would be a perfect choice because he actually has ties to the game and arguably played a big role in its overall growth. Although Drake gets all of the headlines, the night in March 2018 when Ninja teamed up with the rap superstar also saw Travis Scott as part of the squad. The stream that night broke all sorts of viewer records and skyrocketed Ninja into the mainstream. He has already been rewarded with an Icon Series skin, and it looks like Scott could be the next on that list. Read More: Every Fortnite Season 2 map change revealed – Epic has already begun to expand the program, adding streamers like Pokimane and Jordan Fisher into the mix, so it seems clear they’re looking to add more. There are several worthy names out there, so it’ll be interesting to see who the developers plan on adding next. As players wait for this potential Travis Scott skin, they can take a look through all of the skins that have already leaked as part of the Season 2 update. Fortnite Season 10 Teaser 2 hints at the return of The Visitor – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10 Teaser 2 hints at the return of The Visitor The second official teaser for Fortnite Season 10 has been released by Epic Games – hinting that The Visitor could be making a return the map, with an army of robots that could cause havoc. After the conclusion of the $30m World Cup in New York – where three players were crowned the first ever Fortnite World Champions – all attention has turned to the next season which is set to release in the coming days. At the event, Epic revealed the first teaser image for the upcoming season – which hinted that popular location Dusty Depot would be making a return to the map following it’s destruction by the meteor in Season 4. Epic Games release second official Fortnite 10 teaser On Monday 29 July, Epic Games released the second official teaser image, showing a large robotic figure with some heavy weaponry on each arm. Fortnite tweeted: “Look Forward.” Will The Visitor return to Fortnite? The second official teaser has added a brand new twist to the Season 10 theories – seemingly contradicting rumors that the map could be set to reverted back to a former state. Eagle-eyed fans were able to spot the logo on the left of the image is exactly the same as the logo featured on the arm of The Visitor – a character who was prominent during Season 4. The Visitor is believed to have stumbled across the Fortnite map as a ‘time traveller’, creating rifts in Season 5 which were his method of returning home. However, the latest teaser suggests he has unfinished business and will make an epic return with an army of robots judging by the mysterious character in the image. Fortnite Season 10 – what we know so far The first leak for Season 10 came via the PlayStation store, which showed the iconic Fortnite Battle Bus in front of a ‘X’. As the number ten is written as an ‘X’ in Roman numerals, fans instantly connected the dots. With the first official teaser now confirming the image was legitimate, rumors continue to swirl over what it could mean, given it would be the first ever Fortnite season to not be given an actual number. As the orb at Loot Lake, the location of all the previously vaulted items, is becoming increasingly unstable, there had been suggestions that the vault could be cracked upon, catapulting the Fortnite map back in time. However, the latest image suggests futuristic items will also be present, given the robot has some pretty heavy weaponry on it’s body. We are expecting teasers to continue in the build up to the new season which will officially release on Thursday August 1.

Fortnite Season 10: Where to find Week 7 hidden battle star – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10: Where to find Week 7 hidden battle star Graphics: Epic GamesEpic Games have activated the Season 10, Week 7 Team Spirit Mission challenges for players to grind their way through and there’s another secret battle star just waiting to be found on the Fortnite map. The challenges will be available for completion during the week between September 12-19 and, just like many other missions from throughout this season, they are broken into two different sets. There are 14 Team Spirit Missions in total, in two groups – normal and prestige. In order to complete them all, you’re going to have to finish up the normal ones first and then a further seven will be unlocked. Fortnite Season 10, Week 7 secret battle star location There’s tons of XP available by finishing the challenges anyway, although many players also enjoy the tricky task of finding the secret battle star, which is always placed at a different spot on the map. While this could take up a considerable amount of time to find without any guidance, we have taken the liberty of creating a useful map that shows you exactly where to find it in Week 7. Given the whole host of fresh map changes introduced in the v10.30 patch, its location won’t be a major surprise for most fans. Of course, it’s at Greasy Grove! Actually, this is an ideal place for it to be kept as well, with Epic Games adding a brand new feature that periodically forces everybody at the destination to use the Taco Time emote at different intervals. This should make it easier for you to collect it safely, without being eliminated as players can’t use weapons when the emote is triggered – and it happens very regularly! It’s worth noting, though, that you won’t be able to pick up the secret battle star without completing at least three of the other Team Spirit Missions. If you would like to tackle them and have not yet seen the list, these can be found below. Fortnite Season 10, Week 7 Team Spirit Missions (Normal) Play matches with a friend (3) – Assist teammates with eliminations (5) – Pet a teammate’s pet (1) – Heal a teammate with a Chug Splash in different matches (3) – Mark an Uncommon, Rare, and Epic item (1) – Deal combined damage with your squad or duo (1000) – Revive a teammate in different matches (3) – Fortnite Season 10, Week 7 Team Spirit Missions (Prestige) Finish in the top 20 with a friend (3) – Assist teammates with eliminations in a single match (5) – Use a launchpad in squads or duos (1) – Heal a teammate with a Cozy Campfire in different matches (3) – Mark a chest, a shield item, and healing item in a single match (1) – Deal combined damage with your squad or duo in a single match (1000) – Reboot a teammate (1) – There are a number of rewards up for grabs as well, as seen in the list here: Fortnite Season 10, Week 7 Team Spirit Mission rewards Completing one challenge – 10 Battle Stars – Completing two challenges – 10 Battle Stars – Completing three challenges – 10 Battle Stars – Completing four challenges – 5,000 XP – Completing five challenges – 10 Battle Stars – Completing six challenges– 10 Battle Stars – Completing seven challenges – Sparkle Strider Glider – Completing eight challenges – 1,000 XP – Completing nine challenges – 1,000 XP – Completing 10 challenges – 1,000 XP – Completing 11 challenges – Emoji – Completing 12 challenges – 1,000 XP – Completing 13 challenges – 1,000 XP – Completing 14 challenges – Sparkle Supreme Skin Style (Starlite) –

Fortnite Season 10 ‘Storm Racer’ Mission challenges leaked for Week 8 – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10 ‘Storm Racer’ Mission challenges leaked for Week 8 Epic GamesEpic Games add a brand new set of Missions to Fortnite every week in Season 10, and thanks to the work of data miners, we can take an early look at the Storm Racer challenges which launch on September 19. In previous seasons, developers Epic Games would add seven total challenges to the game every week, but decided to freshen the system up by introducing Missions. These Missions boast 14 challenges divided into two sections, normal and prestige, and offer XP and Battle Pass stars to those who complete them, and often reward players who manage to finish all 14 with special cosmetic items. While the Missions don’t release until Thursday, September 19, data miner @archer_fortnite trawled through the files and items included in the v10.30 update and managed to find the Season 10, Week 8 challenges. These tasks are titled “Storm Racers,” and see players spending a lot of time inside Fortnite’s storm, which is used to define the play area and shrink the map as the match goes on. Fans of the game who take on these challenges will have to deal damage to players who are in the storm, visit the center of storm circles, and even heal themselves using one of Fortnite’s consumable items while sitting inside the storm. You can view the leaked Season 10, Week 8 Storm Racer Missions below. Leaked Fortnite Season 10, Week 8 Storm Racer Mission challenges Normal Storm Racers Challenges: Gain health in the Storm (0/100) – Complete a lap of a race track (0/1) – Survive Storm phases (0/10) – Visit the center of a storm circle (0/1) – Land on Polar Peak, a Volcano and a hilltop with a circle of trees (0/1) – Complete a time trial East of Pleasant Park or South West of Salty Springs (0/1) – Dance at different telescopes (0/3) – Prestige Storm Racers Challenges: Damage an opponent in the Storm (0/1) – Damage gliding opponents (0/100) – Deal damage to opponents after the first circle closes (0/500) – Visit the center of storm circles in a single match (0/3) – Deal any amount of fall damage to an opponent (0/1) – Complete a time trial North of Lucky Landing or East of Snobby Shores (0/1) – Dance at different telescopes in a single match (0/2) – The rewards for these challenges have yet to be confirmed, but it is likely to offer around 50 Battle Stars and 8,000 XP to those who finish 10 of the 14 tasks, as these were the prizes given out by Epic Games for the Week 7 Missions. Of course, these challenges are leaked, so it’s possible that the developers may choose to remove or alter some of them before they finally go live on September 19.

Fortnite Season 10 leaks hint at return of four fan-favorite locations – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10 leaks hint at return of four fan-favorite locations Fortnite Battle Royale players have been waiting for some of the game’s previous points of interest to return for a long time and four of them might be added soon in Season X, according to potentially leaked information. Many fans might have had an idea that Epic Games would return to the original map to kick off their landmark tenth season, and while the initial teaser hinted towards just that, it was only Dusty Depot that made a return when it went live on August 1. However, new information suggests the next weekly content update to the battle royale game, patch v10.10, could pave the way for the return of four previously removed destinations. Popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX posted side-by-side images on social media which appear to show parts of the snow melting in the near future, possibly hinting at a revival for Greasy Groves – which was removed and covered in ice back in Season 7. After closer examination, the dataminer confirmed that these changes in the snow have been progressively ongoing since the v9.40 update in Season 9. Still, though, it could start to rapidly melt at some point. 600Anarchy Acres, Greasy Grove and more to return? While the ice melting might be a bit of a slow burner as we head towards the v10.10 update, there has also been a discovery in the game’s data files that suggests it’s not just Greasy Groves on the menu. In fact, there are a total of four locations that could be coming back if the leak proves to be accurate. These include: Anarchy Acres, Greasy Grove, Risky Reels, and Moisty Mire – with the latter featuring in the game files more than once during the start of the season as ‘Moisty Palms’. There is a little bit of uncertainty surrounding the idea of the ice melting, as the process doesn’t appear to have sped up since the season begun, but the potentially leaked data files do mention previously removed locations. While not yet confirmed, these leaks could be our first indication of what to expect in the next set of map changes. If true, Epic might have something big in store next time around.

Fortnite Season 10 Overtime challenges leaked: ‘Out of Time’ mission Epic GamesFortnite data miners have leaked the Season 10 Overtime challenges ahead of schedule, revealing what players are going to have to do in order to complete the ‘Out of Time’ missions. With the Fortnite’s tenth season coming to an end, people are eager to learn what’s in-store for the next season of Epic Games’ popular battle royale title. Season X has predominantly revolved around the concept of time, with The Visitor making a return and planting Rift Beacons all over the map, alongside The Scientist developing a rocket near Dusty Depot, the season looks poised for a grand finale. Now, in conjunction with the essence of the season’s storyline, the Overtime challenges have been leaked, alongside the respective skins that can be unlocked upon their completion. Aptly named the ‘Out of Time’ missions, the challenge list will have players landing at all sorts of different places, from Retail Row to the newly formed POI, Gotham City, to collecting recordings from The Visitor. Following completion of the challenges, players will be able to unlock new skins for Y0ND3R, Eternal Voyager and Sparkle Supreme. Completing any six of these challenges will unlock a new loading screen. However, players will not be able to complete the new Out of Time mission–theme skins unless they also unlock the skins from the Battle Pass tiers. Out of Time mission skins Y0ND3R skin Complete one of the Overtime challenges to unlock this skin style. Sparkle Supreme Complete three of the Overtime challenges to unlock this skin style. Eternal Voyager Complete five of the Overtime challenges to unlock this skin style. With only a few weeks left before the season comes to an end, players will need to knuckle down to unlock their skins as and when the challenges become available. At the time of writing, it’s unknown as to when these challenges will be activated, but we’ll be sure to let you know once it is made official by Epic Games.

Fortnite Season 10 will force players to upgrade their graphics card – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10 will force players to upgrade their graphics card Epic GamesSome Fortnite Battle Royale players anticipating the launch of Season 10 for the game might want to start saving up for a new graphics card when the next chapter of the game rolls around soon. The Fortnite developers traditionally add new elements or major map upgrades season after season, and so far they’ve managed to make those changes while staying compatible with low spec requirements from its users. But that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore as it looks like the devs are going for better optimizations when Season 10 comes out that will require beefier computer builds from their player base. PC players are going to have to upgrade soon In a June 21 announcement, Epic Games announced that starting with Season 10, players on PC will have to upgrade to “a graphics card capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11.” While it’s true that Fortnite has always asked its players to have a graphics card that can run DirectX 11, Epic Games are looking to integrate far superior changes that will hopefully make the overall game experience much better. “… We’ve kept support online for players with older graphics cards – so they could keep playing!” Epic Games said. “However, when Season 10 begins, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. This allows us to focus our development and testing efforts to further optimize the Fortnite experience for all players.” The developers didn’t go into the specific changes they plan on implementing or what the new minimum graphics card requirements would be, but the announcement was already enough to raise some ire from the community. Why would Fortnite need better graphics cards in Season 10? Meanwhile there were more people excited for what the announcement could be alluding to in the near future, with some speculating that Epic Games are planning on introducing a new map with Season 10. Even without requiring a beefed up graphics card, the Fortnite devs have been able to do incredible things with their game which has seen the map change in seasons, add PvE elements right into the battle royale, and so much more. This might mean that whatever the next season brings, it could include more intricate elements into the game than previously seen. While a lot of people might have to plan ahead on how they’ll keep their system compatible with the upcoming Season 10, it might be well worth it in the end to see what Epic Games cooks up this time.

Fortnite Season 10 Champion Series schedule, format and rules revealed – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10 Champion Series schedule, format and rules revealed Epic GamesEpic Games have finally revealed the rules for their upcoming Fortnite Champion Series competition, which will run right through Season 10. The developers of the popular battle royale title first confirmed the competitive tournament would be coming soon on July 28, in the midst of their Fortnite World Cup finals, claiming that there would be millions of dollars at stake during its first season. Now, Epic have since announced their full schedule, format, and rules for games included in the series. Fortnite Champion Series prize pool, schedule & format According to a competitive announcement made by Epic Games on their website, the Fortnite Champion Series will run on a weekly basis from August 17 to September 15. This is the same for all regions and there will be a prize pool of $10 million up for grabs. Those who qualify from their respective groups will progress to the Champion Series Season Finals, held between September 20-22. The Grand Final will be on September 22. This is an initial schedule that’s subject to change, but gives players and viewers a chance to see just how it will be laid out. Players with the most Champion Series point – and achieving the highest rank in their region – at the end of every week will progress to the second round. Then, after playing 10 games in round two, teams will accumulate a score of points that will determine their region rank again. There will be three rounds of weekly competition where players will be given up to 10 Fortnite matches to gain as many points as possible. If they rank highly compared to others in their region, they will progress to the next round. Once these three rounds are over, highest ranked players will qualify to move onto the Season Finals, where they will be seeded into four heats where they will be able to play six games. From there, highest ranked players will move on to the Grand Finals. “In the Grand Finals, 32 teams will compete in a single session (“Champion Heat”) during their respective region’s Grand Finals window as listed in-game,” the statement reads. “The Champion Heat will last approximately three hours, with a new match starting every 30 minutes.” Fortnite Champion Series rules and scoring The point system based on placements is fairly simple to understand and can be found below. Each elimination that a player gets will also count as an extra point each time they get one. Victory Royale: 15 Points – 2nd: 12 Points – 3rd-4th: 9 Points – 5th-8th: 6 Points – 9th-12th: 3 Points – There will also be additional season points to be picked up along the way, which will be granted at the end of each weekly third round of competition. This is a competitive series that’s first of its kind in Fortnite Battle Royale. There’s no doubt that competitors, viewers, and esports fans will be looking forward to see how it plays out.

Fortnite Season 10’s final event name might have been leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 10’s final event name might have been leaked Epic GamesThe end of Fortnite seasons are always action-packed with a live event that ties together the story being told, and it appears the name of it has leaked. It seems like Season X is building towards multiple things with its live event considering we have whatever The Final Reckoning is and the rocket launch that seems like it’ll be taking place in Dusty Depot. Many rumors and theories have pointed to the event taking place at the tail end of the season, instead of days before like it traditionally has. There is a lot of speculation that the map as we know it will be completely overhauled for the next season and the leaked name might actually back up that idea. A leak from FortTory, BOBERLEAKS, and delta3a29 that was posted by ShiinaBR shows the name of this event will be “The End” which could mean a variety of things. The Event title of the new LTM will be “”The End”” :eyes: (via @delta3a29) pic.twitter.com/L4TuKoMiil — ShiinaBR – Fortnite Leaks (@ShiinaBR) September 24, 2019 The title could refer to the end of the map, which is a pretty obvious assumption, but there’s a bunch of different ways this could go. “The End” could simply refer to the end of the season, or it could be the conclusion of the rocket being built. It’s hard to pinpoint any one single direction for the time being. For right now, it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt as nothing has officially been announced. Until we get confirmation from Epic Games themselves, all we have is speculation and while it’s fun to do, it doesn’t mean a whole lot until we get something concrete. We will likely get some more clues about the direction of this season with the upcoming v10.40 update, that is currently scheduled to arrive on September 25. Season 10 wraps up on October 6 so we’re quickly running out of time for Epic to show their hand. Going by the weekly schedule, there will be just one more update following this next one, so expect to see a lot of answered questions soon.

Fortnite: ‘Search between a mysterious hatch, a giant rock lady and a precarious flatbed’ location and challenge guide – Dexerto
Fortnite: ‘Search between a mysterious hatch, a giant rock lady and a precarious flatbed’ location and challenge guide An old favorite returns to the list of Fortnite challenges for Week 8 of Season 7 as players are asked to find a Battle Star that has been hidden on the map. Here’s how to complete ‘Search between a mysterious hatch, a giant rock lady and a precarious flatbed’. As always, everything that you need to know about the completing this challenge is hidden in the clue: “Search between a mysterious hatch, a giant rock lady and a precarious flatbed.” This hint is actually rather specific once you give it some thought. To work out where the Battle Star can be found, you simply need to work out the intersection between the three locations that have been described. You may have already worked out one, or all, of the locations described. Perhaps the most recognizable point of interest is the ‘mysterious hatch’ which clearly refers to the bunker in Wailing Woods. Once you begin to inspect the surrounding area, you’ll also find the other described points of interest with ease. The exact location should be just south of Wailing Woods on a small hill with a dark patch of ground. It should be in the bottom left corner of the J3 coordinate on the map. If you’re still struggling, we’ve marked the spot on the map below. We’ll update this post with confirmation of the location when the challenges go live on January 24. Once you arrive, the Battle Star should appear. Simply collect it in order to complete the challenge but don’t leave the game until you’ve been eliminated or won the match. Going back to the pre-game lobby too early could result in the challenge progression not being saved. Once you complete all of the Season 7, Week 8 challenges, you’ll unlock the Week 8 Snowfall challenge and loading screen. This week, you’ll be finding a hidden Banner instead of everyone’s favorite secret Battle Star.

Fortnite Season 1 players want beloved Spider-Man feature to stay permanently – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 1 players want beloved Spider-Man feature to stay permanently Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 introduced Spider Man’s Web-Shooter as a Mythic item and players devised a way to keep them in the game permanently. Epic Games gave players a unique way to traverse the island in the latest Season 1 content patch. With Spider-Man’s web-slingers, players found themselves overcoming the traditional Fortnite build-meta in style which made for a fun time. The community is pleading with Epic to keep the beloved item in the game far past Chapter 3 Season 1. “Reskin the spiderman web-shooters to one of those sticky hand toys at the end of this season, so we can still have a fun mobility item that won’t have copyright issues,” user ‘Yessir-Im-A-Pie’ said. It’s unknown what Epic Games have planned for Fortnite C3 Season 2 but players can count on the studio rotating out these kinds of items to keep the game fresh. That’s why Fortnite players put a creative ‘reskin’ on the Web-Shooters by transforming them into a sticky hand toy that could give the item a permanent life in the battle royale. Read more: Fortnite Chapter 3 Super Styles – Making them a generic item would give Spider-Man’s webs, or any past Mythic weapon, an avenue to skirt any possible copyright infringements past its collaboration date. Other than the cosmetic change, nothing much would have to be retooled for the essence of the item to stay intact. That’s because players are beside themselves with how much of an impact the Web-Shooters made in the short time they’ve been in Fortnite. “They have to stay,” one person said. “It’s too good to be removed from the game. With the sliding and this, you feel so free in terms of movement. “This evolved the game for the better and it’s not [over powered] at all. They could even do ropes or something.”

Fortnite Search and Destroy LTM leaked following v11.40 update – Dexerto
Fortnite Search and Destroy LTM leaked following v11.40 update Epic GamesFollowing the first Fortnite patch in over a month, a brand-new LTM has been leaked and for the first time ever, it’s looking like Search and Destroy will be making its way to the battle royale title. Fortnite fans were extremely excited when the v11.40 update hit, but some even bigger news came out of what the dataminers were able to find in the files. Lucas7yoshi discovered a new LTM on the horizon, called Search and Destroy, and it even comes with its own set of challenges for players to complete. New Creative LTM event pic.twitter.com/13STs3ddGn — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) January 15, 2020 Outside of these challenges, not a whole lot has been revealed about what this will entail, except that it’ll be an LTM in Creative Mode. Traditionally, Search and Destroy modes in other games have meant players have just one life and they have to either eliminate the opposing team or detonate a bomb, while the other team is tasked with defending. Fortnite doesn’t have a set assortment of weapons players start out with, but thanks to the magic of Creative Mode, things like this can be made possible. We don’t know exactly what format Search will take in Fortnite, but we’ll certainly learn more about that once it’s closer to arrival. It’s important to note that this information remains a leak for the time being, so take it with a pinch of salt until we get official word from Epic themselves. If these challenges are real, then there will be a lot of experience up for grabs for players to level up their Battle Pass. A spray and a couple of cosmetics are also available, so there’s no reason to avoid them. None of the challenges make it sound like you’ll have to be a star player, so they should be easy enough to complete as long as you put the time in. Outside of this game mode, there’s not a whole lot that came out of this patch if you’re a fan of things other than cosmetics. Perhaps we will get a bit more in the next update, but we no longer have a specific timetable to expect that, especially since this latest one took over a month to arrive. Now that we’re out of the holiday season, perhaps we Epic will get back on track with the weekly updates.

Fortnite Save the World Could Become Free-to-Play Very Soon – Dexerto
Fortnite Save the World Could Become Free-to-Play Very Soon Fortnite’s “Save the World” mode could become free-to-play before the end of Season 5, according to a new leak. The popular, and usually accurate, Fortnite data mining and leaking account @FNBRLeaks on Twitter broke the news, saying “Save the World MAY become free this season”. No more information was shared and a follow-up Tweet from the same account simply told followers to “come back to this in a week or two”. Season 5 in Fortnite is expected to end some time between mid and late September, which means that players could be getting their hands on a free version of Save the World within a month. While the battle royale mode is completely free to play, Save the World has always required an investment of around 30 to 40 dollars. Save the World is a co-op survival game. 98% of the world’s population has been wiped out by the arrival of “The Storm” and players must fight against AI-controlled zombie-like creatures called husks in order to survive. Described by Epic’s Tim Sweeney as “Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead”, the game makes players responsible for commanding a base, constructing and maintaining “storm shields”, finding and protecting survivors and attempting to save the world from total destruction. Save the World going free-to-play would come as a surprise to many as Epic Games has never shown any signs of wanting to make such a move in the past. Players that have already purchased Save the World are likely to expect some form of reward if the game does become free. Owners of the founder’s pack have previously been presented with the exclusive Warpaint and Rose Team Leader outfits.

Fortnite’s Scientist rocket event at Dusty Depot – all details and leaks – Dexerto
Fortnite’s Scientist rocket event at Dusty Depot – all details and leaks Graphics: Epic GamesEpic Games appears to be building towards yet another huge rocket event in Fortnite Battle Royale and the construction is almost complete. First of all, there were a number of brand new features added to the free-to-play title on September 11 as developers rolled out their v10.30 patch. While many players might have been distracted with the brand new Moisty Palms Rift Zone and the return of Greasy Grove – both sparked by Rift Beacons that activated just days before – it’s structural tweaks at Dusty Depot that has got many people talking. Yet, there have been a handful of developments since. Fortnite Season 10 rocket event Speculation about a brand new rocket event emerged following the update, after scaffolding was placed at the point of interest. Players can use the inside of the building to maneuver themselves onto the roof as new doors have been added to the interior. This new metal structure on top of one bunker has a huge amount of free space in the middle, where the rocket will presumably be built. New rocket leaks Dusty has been the building zone for Rift Beacons throughout the course of the season and this event would be just the latest impact that the factory has had on other parts of the map. Datamines have already revealed a number of details regarding the rocket, with the first leaked image showing just the outline – posted to Reddit by PatrickDearden, and a later leak giving fans a first-look at its design via FortTory. You would have to cast your mind back to Fortnite Season 4 for the last time the game had a rocket ship included in the map and on that occasion, it blasted off to mark the end of the season. Whether or not it will play out in the same way again remains to be seen. For all we know, it could take players to a whole new map! That is a bit of a long shot, though. Rocket LEAKED at the Warehouse in Dusty! Are you EXCITED?! pic.twitter.com/2q7jtQi8WV — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) September 11, 2019 Following these two leaks, a few other images giving us a closer look at potentially the singular pieces – which will likely be added one by one during the event – were leaked by Lucas7Yoshi. Construction has begun! While the leaks provided a numbers of things for players to get excited about, there have been a few more interesting changes made in-game – as of September 16. The rocket parts appeared and then the Scientist appears to have started the project at Dusty Depot. Rocket is upright Following the v10.31 content update, new construction on the rocket has appeared at Dusty Depot. Where we saw just a singular base, players can now see that the rocket is taking shape and is well on it’s way to becoming a fully-fledged spacecraft. It’s almost ready for blast-off! The rocket at Dusty Depot is edging towards completion and can now be seen from outside the grey bunker, it’s that tall! While we still don’t know what the rocket is being built for in Season 10, it hasn’t stopped fans from tracking its progress. Maybe we’ll see it blast off at some stage in the near future. We’ll continue to update this article as more developments in this event emerge. Until then, hop into the game and check it all out for yourself! Fortnite’s hilariously broken Sarah Connor skin needs a facelift – Dexerto
Fortnite’s hilariously broken Sarah Connor skin needs a facelift Epic GamesFortnite’s Sarah Connor skin is currently broken due to a “long face” glitch that appears in the menu and in-game. Sarah Connor and Terminator T-800 joined the Fortnite family in 2021 for 1,800 V-Bucks apiece. The Sarah Connor outfit, in particular, came complete with a Combat Knife and the T-800 Endoskeleton Arm Back Bling. Notably, a Techno-Grip Axe and Cyberdyne Salute Emote rounded out the Terminator-centric content release. But even the toughest characters on the ever-growing Fortnite roster aren’t immune to some of the game’s technical woes. As such, Sarah Connor recently fell victim to the strangest of graphical bugs. Sarah Connor’s “long face” Fortnite glitch desperately needs a fix Reddit user StoicRaza recently spotted a weird Sarah Connor glitch in Fortnite that distorts the character’s face model. Thanks to the bug, the space between Connor’s nose and mouth appears abnormally long. And, according to the Redditor, the graphical issue affects the character in-menu and during regular gameplay. The screenshot linked below shows the glitch on the Resistance Leader variant, so it’s unclear if a similar error impacts Fortnite’s standard Sarah Connor-style outfit. Fortunately, an Epic Games developer has already responded to the post. “Passed this along to the face lift team,” a Community Manager replied in the thread. Fortnite fans don’t seem too surprised by the newest graphical bug, with one person pointing out how random skins become “horribly broken” with the launch of each update. For example, after the Fortnite v20.20 update last year, players noticed a host of dysfunctional skin physics in-game. The issues specifically impacted movements related to clothes and hair. Hopefully, Epic developers are able to fix Fortnite’s Sarah Connor skin glitch sooner rather than later.

Fortnite Runaway Boulder locations: Where to find & how to dislodge – Dexerto
Fortnite Runaway Boulder locations: Where to find & how to dislodge Epic GamesFortnite players need to dislodge a Runaway Boulder with a Baller to complete one of the Week 2 Quests, so we’ve got the best locations to help you finish this challenge in no time at all. Runaway Boulders are one of the new features introduced in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 3. While they haven’t been advertised much, they can be quite useful for getting a surprise attack on unsuspecting opponents. You’ll also need to find one to complete the ‘Boost into a Runaway Boulder and dislodge it with a Baller’ challenge in Week 2, but they’re not marked on the map so they can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look. Below, we’ve listed a few different locations where you can find Runaway Boulders alongside some tips on how to dislodge them with a Baller. Where to find Runaway Boulders in Fortnite Runaway Boulders are big round rocks that are usually found on top of mountains or tall hills. There are quite a few of them located around the Fortnite map, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find one. If you’re struggling to find a Runaway Boulder, we’ve marked some locations on the map below: These Runaway Boulders are all very close to Rave Cave, which is where you’ll be able to find a Baller in Fortnite, so it’s definitely easiest to travel to one of these locations. How to dislodge a Runaway Boulder with a Baller in Fortnite To complete this challenge, you’ll first need to find a Baller near the rollercoaster that loops around Rave Cave. Once you’ve got one, make your way to the nearest Runaway Boulder listed on the map above. Dislodging the Runaway Boulder with your Baller is as simple as pressing the ‘boost’ button (which is Circle on PlayStation, for example). If you hit the Runaway Boulder, it should dislodge and go flying. Read More: Best Fortnite skins of all time – That’s it! The challenge is complete and 15,000 XP is yours. Fortnite: Samsung Galaxy owners look to be receiving even more exclusive items – Dexerto
Fortnite: Samsung Galaxy owners look to be receiving even more exclusive items Epic GamesThe cross promotion between Samsung and Fortnite that has brought the rarest skin to the game could also be an avenue to add some more exclusive content to Samsung product owners in the near future. Epic Games has routinely used its game to collaborate with other brands for fun, promotional events or campaigns, and a new concept from known online leakers suggests Fortnite and Samsung Galaxy owners might enjoy more unique add-ons. FNBR Leaks recently unveiled a series of photos that incorporate the galaxy texture that was first used for the Fortnite Galaxy Skin, only now it looks to be applied for item-wraps in the game. FNBR Leaks are not claiming that the photos are leaks or made via a custom texture, rather they are in-game renditions of certain items simply wrapped in the Galaxy texture already found in Fortnite’s files. “It’s not a custom texture nor a leak, this is the Galaxy texture put on weapons,” they said on Twitter. The file in question is named “Galaxy.uasset” and can be traced under the “Weapon Skins” folder in a backlog of file trees. FNBR Leaks made concept skins for the the AR, Pump Shotgun and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle as well as the Quadcrasher. The leakers strongly believe that the inclusion of future Galaxy-themed items or sprays will be incorporated at some point. Yes, this is a real image. Not photoshopped, this was simply posted to show what the “”possible”” Galaxy Skin Wrap could look like. This was made by putting the Galaxy Texture on a weapon. — Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks :snowflake:️ (@FNBRLeaks) December 10, 2018 Regardless, the photos give a much clearer idea of what a future extension of the Galaxy motif would look like if applied to weapons. Read more: Fortnite: NA finals of $1 million Winter Royale tournament – schedule, format, qualified players, and more – The release of Season 7 on December 6 brought a whole heap of new content for players to digest, and for data miners, it brought troves of files to meticulously dissect, which have subsequently led to a number of leaks.

Fortnite RTX first look reveals improved graphics – Dexerto
Fortnite RTX first look reveals improved graphics Epic Games[jwplayer V1LKeZSw] During the NVIDIA GeForce livestream on September 1, the company announced that RTX has been enabled for the insanely popular battle royale game, Fortnite. Even though Fortnite doesn’t have the most realistic graphics in the world, the game has been praised for its technical achievements. The title looks visually crisp and runs at a consistent, smooth framerate across most of the major consoles and systems (with an obvious exception being made for the Switch version). Despite this, the game doesn’t currently have RTX support, which has bummed out many PC players for a while now – especially considering the fact that a lot of games on the platform do have it enabled. Thankfully, however, this seems to be changing. Experience Fortnite with #RTXOn. Ray tracing and DLSS are coming to @FortniteGame! Hitch a ride on the Battle Bus or collaborate to create your dream world with GeForce RTX. pic.twitter.com/7uOzrurq6L — NVIDIA GeForce (@NVIDIAGeForce) September 1, 2020 Today, NVIDIA announced during its GeForce livestream that RTX will finally be enabled for Fortnite. According to the livestream, Fortnite will now support raytraced shadows and reflections, as well as ambient occlusion and DLSS 2. While that may sound like a bunch of jumbled and confusing terminology, it means it’s going to make the game look a lot better on PC going forward. Epic also released a trailer for the new graphics, which gives players a good look at how RTX will be implemented in Fortnite. Players will automatically be able to notice a difference in the trailer, from the shine on players helmets, to the near mirror-like reflections on windows, all the way down to the realistic-looking water. https://twitter.com/Nibellion/status/1300827044272640000 Unfortunately, there’s no telling when the support will be added to the game. While the stream said that the RTX support is “enabled,” the trailer itself says that it’s actually coming soon, so players will probably have to wait a bit longer to take advantage of the improvement for themselves. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long, though, as PC players will more than likely want to start utilizing the feature as soon as possible.

Fortnite Rocket Racing players feel “dumb” for missing useful feature – Dexerto
Fortnite Rocket Racing players feel “dumb” for missing useful feature Psyonix/Epic GamesFortnite Rocket Racing players are embarrassed after they miss out on a useful game feature during their playthrough. Here’s what the feature is and how players reacted afterward. Now that Fortnite has branched out from its original Battle Royale mode to include survival, racing, and music games, the ecosystem is expanding in Chapter 5. Every week, more and more users join the community to enjoy the three new games – LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival – just as Epic Games had envisioned. Players of Psyonix’s Rocket League moved on to Rocket Racing, which offers exciting tracks to race on with their garage vehicles, while LEGO Fortnite and Festival modes have a certain type of fan base. There has been a lot of player backlash against Rocket Racing’s ranked races, with many pointing fingers at the game’s mechanics for the intense competition that often ensues. On the contrary, players are feeling dumb for missing out on a feature that might help them win races, even though Epic made sure that everyone had an equal advantage. Fortnite Rocket Racing players embarrassed for missing Manual Reset feature Players in Rocket Racing frequently encounter problems such as crashing into the sidelines or their opponents or getting spun around in the wrong direction, which causes them to fall behind. Now one of those gamers has brought attention to a vital feature that allows players to reset their car’s position manually. An X user named Hecktrope showed the community in a video how to manually reset your car’s position on the track by assigning a key bind to that function in the settings menu. You may modify your Fortnite keyboard or controller’s keybindings in the game’s settings menu for the same. To manually reset, use the down D-pad button on the controller or the F key on the keyboard. By holding down the designated buttons, you may manually reset the position of your car and be back on the track in no time. Playing without this seemingly essential element has left players feeling dumb. One such player said, “There is no f*****g way there’s a reset button.” Another chimed in, “This really helps if you get stuck in a spin-out.” While the issue of collisions has been a pressing matter for the community, Epic has now released a patch that eases those in Rocket Racing.

It’s been quite remarkable, as players have created unique worlds or recreated established titles like Call of Duty Zombies in Fortnite. Rocket Racing is the next iteration of Fortnite’s Creative mode. Rocket League developer Psyonix will lend a hand in developing this project. Epic Games describes this mode as: “Rocket Racing is a supersonic arcade racer where players drift, fly, and boost with friends through an ever-growing selection of tracks.” Given Psyonix is lending a hand, it’s very much inspired by Rocket League as vehicle skins in their hit title populated the debut footage of Rocket Racing. Fortnite’s Rocket Racing cars and race tracks Rocket Racing will include cars and decals acquired from the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass and your Rocket League garage. There will be an additional pass when the mode comes out that will grant players free vehicles, wheels and decals. As mentioned earlier, this new spin on racing in Fortnite will feature “an ever-growing selection of tracks.” Since it’s in Fortnite, you can imagine future maps will be based on previous POIs from the Battle Royale. A brief glimpse of a desert-looking locale was shown during the reveal, as the player drove through waterfalls and shortcuts to gain advantage in the race. Car tricks in Rocket Racing As it’s a racing game, you can expect the usual control scheme to be in place, such as drifting and using turbo to blaze ahead of the competition. Expect to ram into foes as you aim to win at all costs. However, small snippets showed the player using an “air dodge” to launch and drive their car on the ceiling, possibly to prevent enemies from messing with them. How the formula unfolds is yet to be seen, but it looks to capture the octane speeds of Rocket League with Fortnite’s charm. That’s everything you need to know about Rocket Racing in Fortnite. Fortnite Rocket Racing leak hints at “harder” Death Race mode – Dexerto
Fortnite Rocket Racing leak hints at “harder” Death Race mode Epic GamesA new Fortnite leak claims Rocket Racing will receive a “harder” Death Race mode at some point in the future. Fortnite Chapter 5 introduced three new modes to the experience – LEGO, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. Rocket League developer Psyonix built the latter of the three, rolling out a fully-fledged racing mode for the popular online title. But before the Rocket Racing name made the rounds, another title cropped up courtesy of iFireMonkey – Death Race. According to the leaker, Death Race constituted a mode within the then-unnamed racing suite. Not much was known about the mode within a mode, but new details have surfaced thanks to another reputable dataminer. Fortnite leak claims Rocket Racing will receive a “harder” mode Fortnite dataminer BeastFNCreative has shared the first details about the new racing mode Pysonix is working on. Reportedly, the previously outed Death Race mode will “make the track harder to complete by placing objects like spikes” in the road that will kick other drivers into walls. What’s more, “several other deadly obstacles” will further heighten the moment-to-moment action, though the specifics remain under lock and key. In a subsequent post, BeastFNCreative (via SpushFNBR) shared footage of “one of the first Death Race maps” known as Wedge. The video showcases an early build of the map, yet offers an interesting look at what’s to come. As of writing, Epic Games has yet to formally announce Death Race. A potential release date and other noteworthy details remain unknown as a result, though it’s worth noting that SpushFNBR claims the content could be “coming soon.” Should the above prove accurate, Fortnite’s growing Rocket Racing community will have plenty to look forward to in the months ahead.

Fortnite player recreates Spider-Man meme with The Rock’s characters – Dexerto
Fortnite player recreates Spider-Man meme with The Rock’s characters Epic GamesA Fortnite player recreated a famous Spider-Man meme by capturing a screenshot of characters modeled after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Rock’s first Fortnite skin, The Foundation, joined the roster of playable characters this past February. This Season 3 addition had long been teased, yet served as only the first time that players would get to assume the role of a Dwayne Johnson character. Unsurprisingly, the Black Adam film’s theatrical debut meant that another figure bearing The Rock’s likeness would hit the Island. As of writing, Fortnite users can purchase four different bundles inspired by The Man in Black’s big-screen debut. Fans are already having a blast and a half with the contents of each. Spider-Man meme recreated in Fortnite with both The Rock skins Derived from the 60’s Spider-Man series wherein two people dressed like the web-slinger meet each other, Spidey’s famous pointing meme gets replicated from time to time. Of course, players have already brought the meme to Fortnite Island, but now two more characters are causing double trouble. Redditor Gamross_Steel captured a Fortnite moment in which both of The Rock’s characters – The Foundation and Black Adam – appear in the same shot. The two stand across from each other, pointing in shock similar to the iconic 60’s Spider-Man still. As another Redditor noted, “Somebody had to do it…” At the time of writing, the priciest Black Adam bundle costs 2,000 V-Buck in the Item Shop. It comes with the Black Adam outfit, Symbol of Shiruta back bling, Teth’s Throne emote, Hawkman’s Mace, and the Teth Ascended loading screen. There’s no word on whether other Black Adam characters such as Hawkman and Doctor Fate will eventually join the ranks. Black Adam serves as the latest in a long line of DC characters to fill out the Fortnite roster. Other noteworthy additions include the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn.

Quest descriptions have also been updated to reflect this. – – Further improvements to collisions while grounded have been made when hitting the environment to prevent getting stuck. – Improved checkpoint crossing times, and exposed one more millisecond digit to the scoreboard for more accurate time tracking. – Increased the minimum speed to demolish in the air when hitting the front of the car, to match the speed required to demolish when grounded (400 KPH). – Achieving a new drift boost while one is already active will now always give you the full impulse for a short duration instead of only making up the difference. – While you’re drifting, your wheels should now visually steer more sharply. – You can no longer get bonus speed from a speed pad if your car already has an active stack of bonus speed from that same speed pad. You can still stack bonus speed from multiple different speed pads. – – Fixed an issue causing cars to sometimes launch backwards when landing an aerial drift after performing a lateral air dodge. – Mobile Improvements The touchscreen D-pad has been updated to a touchscreen joystick, allowing for better precision when driving. You can adjust the sensitivity of the joystick in the settings. – – We’ve updated the visuals of the mobile HUD. – Check out more Fortnite guides: How to level up fast in Fortnite | How to get V-Bucks in Fortnite | Rarest skins in Fortnite | What are the best Fortnite skins ever? | How many people play Fortnite? | How to win in Fortnite | How to refer a friend in Fortnite | All Fortnite crossovers & collabs | Best guns in Fortnite | Best Fortnite landing spots | Fortnite dances list | Where to find all Exotic & Mythic weapons in Fortnite | Are there any free V-Bucks codes in Fortnite? | How to play Fortnite split-screen | How to get free Fortnite skins

Fortnite’s robot Peely skin P-1000 revealed: challenges, price, trailer – Dexerto
Fortnite’s robot Peely skin P-1000 revealed: challenges, price, trailer Epic GamesThe popular Peely skin in Fortnite Battle Royale has been given a robotic makeover, and the new P-1000 has finally been unveiled to the public. Since it’s introduction back in September 2017, Fortnite has had thousands of cosmetic items come through its Item Shop and Battle Passes, with some being more popular than the others. One of the most popular outfit skins has been Peely, which was first debuted in the Season 8 Battle Pass but then used as a character in a variety of trailers, including the ones for both the launch of both Seasons 9 and 10. Now, with Season X slowly winding down to its end, Epic Games have thrust Peely back in the spotlight yet again, this time turning him into a robot. Read More: Fortnite Trio vs Squads record broken – Introducing P-1000 – “something “dangerous, something powerful, something… banana scented,” created by Jonesy “deep within enemy territory.” Deep within enemy territory, Jonesy has been working on something dangerous, something powerful, something…banana scented. Enter the P-1000. Grab the P-1000’s Challenge Pack, available in the Store now! pic.twitter.com/2mLIr8a1fJ — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) September 27, 2019 The skin is robotic and predominantly yellow, and it includes a blended version of Peely as its brains, if you can call it that. Those who watch the Season 9 launch trailer will remember the iconic banana character being blended by Jonesy for food, after the two were locked in a dark enclosure for a long period of time. Read More: How to complete Zone Wars challenges – The skin comes as part of the P-1000 Challenge Pack, which is now available in the Fortnite Store, and it can be purchased for $14.99 The pack also includes a built-in emote called Peely Pulse, as well as a set of challenges. However, instead of the challenges unlocking a cosmetic reward, which is usually the case, this specific set of objectives actually unlocks a total of 1,500 V-Bucks. That’s actually close to the value of what the entire pack would cost in V-Bucks, which makes this a very sensible purchase for those who are confident that they can complete the challenges. The only question that remains is for how long will this P-1000 Challenge Pack be available for sale, and that’s information that Epic Games hardly ever announce. However, these kinds of packs in the past have remained in the shop for about two weeks, so those interested in purchasing should probably do so before it’s too late.

Fortnite Risky Reels in-game event leaked for Chapter 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite Risky Reels in-game event leaked for Chapter 2 Reliable leakers have found some very interesting game files that hint towards a major event occurring in Risky Reels in Fortnite Chapter 2. Risky Reels is one of the locations that returned to the map in Fortnite Chapter 2, as well as Pleasant Park, Salty Springs and Retail Row. This time around, though, it is not a named location, but instead is a small area located just west of Frenzy Farm. It was a fan-favorite when first introduced to Fortnite during Season 4, with many players disappointed by its disappearance a few months later during Season 7. Now, it’s returned once again, but fans have been given a reason to think it may not be around for long, thanks to a couple of leaks from leakers Lucas7Yoshi and Hypex. In a series of posts from both leakers’ Twitter accounts, we can see a bunch of images and code that point towards an in-game event occurring in Risky Reels. These include side-by-side images of the development of Risky in the time the event is expected to occur as well as details on what the event may be. Hypex tweeted out a short collection of three images, in which you can see a very basic construction of Risky Reels with gradually fewer cars and construction trucks appearing, and he also suggests in a follow-up tweet that the movie screen will be changing. Looks like something will happen in Risky Reels 🤔 pic.twitter.com/oyfq6Vac2u — HYPEX (@HYPEX) November 20, 2019 This is followed up by an interesting tweet from Lucas7Yoshi, explaining what he believes will occur on the screen at the time the event occurs – expected to end on January 1, 2020. “Still working out WHAT will be played at Risky Reels, but I do know the following: 2 minutes between the time that it plays,” the leaker explains, “it STOPS on January 1, 2020 (I think I’m parsing the number correctly, it’s a weird way of storing dates). I cannot find the video it’ll play.” Still working out WHAT will be played at Risky Reels, but i do know the following: 2 minutes between the time that it plays It STOPS on January 1st 2020 (i think im parsing the number correctly, its a weird way of storing dates) I cannot find the video it’ll play — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) November 20, 2019 Overall, it seems that Fortnite fans should expect to see some action heading into the new year. Some of Yoshi’s followers believe it may simply be a countdown to the New Year, which would definitely make sense, and their in-game Marshmello concert from February 2019 shows how successful live events can be for them. It’s not yet clear whether there is a link between this event and the Chapter 2, Season 1 extension that was announced, with the season expected to run until February 2020.

Fortnite roasted for “copying” Roblox with new update – Dexerto
Fortnite roasted for “copying” Roblox with new update Epic Games/RobloxFortnite is being roasted by Roblox players for copying the latter with its new appearance update. Here’s what fans said. Epic Games’ Battle Royale title Fortnite made some significant changes with update 29.10 to its discovery screen. Now, the game tiles under Discover are square-shaped instead of the former rectangle one and it’s a rather unexpected change for some players. On the other hand, the Roblox player community is accusing Fortnite of copying their style of displaying game tiles for creator-made islands. “Woah this new Roblox update looks awesome”, said renowned Roblox YouTuber KreekCraft while reposting the news on his X page. “Lol, Roblox and Fortnite are switching”, replied another player, while pointing out an upcoming Roblox update that will bring 16:9 tiles to games instead of the current square ones. A third user chimed in, “They are slowly turning into Roblox they already got the Lego skins now square titles.” A fourth one said, “Well they’re copying us. Fortnite vs Roblox.” A fifth user commented, “Bro everyone making such a big deal that they stole from Roblox. It’s literally just square icons, pretty much every game has that like wdym bro?” This is not the first time players have accused Fortnite of copying an in-game feature or plans for upcoming ones. Most recently shortly after State of Unreal 2024, fans started slamming Epic for turning Fortnite’s discovery into YouTube, since it will soon allow you to follow your creators on the game as well as social media. Regardless, Epic continues to push its consistent updates and has promised the players to bring significant changes to UI, locker, and the Item Shop in the coming months. Furthermore, the game is all set to receive a first-person mode this year which has the community thrilled for the future of Fortnite.

Fortnite Rift Spawn Locations for the Week 8, Season 5 Challenge – Dexerto
Fortnite Rift Spawn Locations for the Week 8, Season 5 Challenge One of the challenges for Week 8 of Season 5 in Fortnite Battle Royale asks players to use a Rift in ten different Rift spawn locations. If you play Fortnite on a daily basis, you probably already have a number of locations mapped out in your head but you’ll also be aware of the fact that they don’t all spawn every time. If you’re struggling to think of more than a few, or want to try to use all ten in one match, we’ve created a map with as many known Rift spawns as we can find marked out for you: The Rifts have been some of the most popular additions to Fortnite in Season 5 as they allow players to teleport to a spot above the map and then dive to the ground again. One of biggest questions within the Fortnite community is whether they will remain in the game when Season 6 begins in September. Given the aforementioned popularity, it seems likely that Epic Games will find some way of incorporating the Rifts into Season 6 as Fortnite Battle Royale’s ongoing map changes and major events continue to surprise players.

Fortnite leaker claims Epic is developing rideable flying animals – Dexerto
Fortnite leaker claims Epic is developing rideable flying animals Epic GamesAccording to a well-known Fortnite leaker, Epic Games is developing rideable flying animals for the popular multiplayer title. Epic added the ability to ride wildlife at the start of Chapter 3 Season 3 a few short months ago. This update came with its limitations, though, only allowing players to hop aboard boars and wolves. At the very least, developers made the act of riding animals simple enough. To take a boar or wolf for a joyride, users need only aim at the animal’s back and hit the jump button. Yet, riding animals could become a little more complicated if a recent leak about flying wildlife proves correct. Leaker claims rideable flying animals may come to Fortnite A recent Twitter post from reliable leaker HYPEX claims Epic Games is working on “rideable flying animals” for its popular multiplayer game. Apparently, players will be able to boost and idle while on the back of the animal. The leaker also posits that such efforts could explain the existence of Fortnite’s Saddler item. Epic has yet to confirm that Fortnite will receive rideable flying animals. As such, if the leak proves accurate, there’s no word on when exactly they’ll land on the Island. As Epic continues to diversify Fortnite’s gameplay options, players hope even more rideable animals join the fray. One rumor, in particular, has long claimed that users will one day be able to take raptors for a ride. Such an update has yet to materialize, however. The latest wildlife-related leaks come not long after the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. Notably, Season 4 introduced a Battle Pass headlined by Into the Spider-Verse’s Spider-Gwen.

Fortnite players show why Rick and Morty’s house would be perfect for the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players show why Rick and Morty’s house would be perfect for the game Epic GamesOne talented Fortnite fan has drawn up a concept for a highly-requested addition to the map which would put Rick and Morty’s house in the game, and fans are going wild over it. Fortnite fans worldwide have been enjoying Season 7 since it released back on June 17, and the aliens that have invaded the map have implemented a ton of content for players to dive into. Now, we are able to explore the mothership that’s hovering over the island, and players have been picking away at their weekly challenges so that they can unlock new battle pass skins such as Rick Sanchez. Speaking of Rick, one of the titular characters from Rick and Morty, he’s drawn a lot of love this season and some fans are asking Epic Games to add “his house” into the game. Fortnite fan draws up Rick’s house From time to time, the Fortnite Reddit produces some top-notch content for some of their fans, and it’s also a place where Epic gets ideas for skins they want to add into the game. One post has risen in popularity over the weekend, and it comes from GreninjaNoah, who mocked up how they would imagine Rick’s house would look in Fortnite, and fans of the post immediately agreed that Epic should add it into the game. Keep in mind, while we may call it Rick’s house, technically speaking it’s Jerry’s house, but besides that take a look at the post down below. For those who have seen the show, this concept is spot on basically as it encompasses all the aspects that we see during the actual Rick & Morty show. Fans of the post have even theorized where Epic could add this location onto the map, as one user writes it would be best suited for Pleasant Park. We cannot lie, it would be pretty cool for Epic to add this location into the game as a little easter egg, and it makes perfect sense considering Rick is already in the game as a battle pass skin. Read More: Fortnite Alien Artifacts locations – For now, we will have to wait and see if Epic decides this location is worthy enough to add into their game this season, would be an amazing addition if it does pan out!

Fortnite’s “over-the-top” Ride the Lightning Mythic divides players – Dexerto
Fortnite’s “over-the-top” Ride the Lightning Mythic divides players Epic GamesFortnite’s Ride the Lightning Mythic added “over-the-top” mobility changes that have already divided the community. Metallica content hit Fortnite in Update 30.10, and one of the biggest additions inspired by the band is the all-new Ride the Lightning Mythic guitar. Players can find the guitar in eight different locations around the map. Those lucky enough to grab it will have access to a mobility item that works like the vaulted Wings of Icarus. On top of letting Fortnite users soar across the Island, the guitar Mythic can damage nearby enemies when players slam into the ground from above. Footage of Ride the Lightning in action has gone viral on Twitter/X (via HYPEX) and Reddit. And players have mixed opinions about how it’ll impact Season 4’s divisive mobility mechanics. In response to a Reddit post questioning whether Ride the Lightning is Fortnite’s “best new mobility,” several users argued combat is sure to become even more frustrating. “This game is obsessed with adding the most over-the-top mobility,” one person commented in the thread. Another person had harsher words for the new addition, writing, “This is gonna get old after a day, looks obnoxious as f**k. How do you even shoot it???” Others compared it to the frustrations introduced by Airbending in Season 3. Said one Redditor, “Man we thought airbending died but apparently it had 1hp at the end of the battle and had enough exp to f***ing evolve.” Not every Fortnite player thinks the worst of Ride the Lightning, though. Responses on Reddit and in HYPEX’s comments also featured a fair bit of positivity. Mostly, fans think the guitar Mythic looks cool. “Bro what is this? This is the best mythic ever,” wrote one Twitter/X user. Another person commented, “I love when Fortnite gets creative with Mythics.” This could significantly alter final circles near the end of a match. After all, Mythic cars and the Nitro Fists have already turned the last few moments of matches into pure chaos. It’ll be interesting to see if Epic nerfs this new addition over time, though.

Fortnite Season 5 map changes: Salty Towers, Zero Point, more – Dexerto
Fortnite Season 5 map changes: Salty Towers, Zero Point, more Epic GamesEpic Games has turned the Fortnite Chapter 2 map on its head in Season 5, bringing back old POI favorites like Tilted Towers — with a salty new twist — and brand-new locations, in the ‘Zero Point’ update. Here’s all the changes. Galactus has been defeated, but the war to save Fortnite’s island seems far from over. The war against the towering Marvel villain appears to have made the ‘Zero Point’ at the heart of the island unstable, warping different realities together. That has led to a huge upheaval on the iconic Fortnite map. While it’s not exactly a totally new revamp, like many were expecting, there’s a host of new, themed points of interest, as well as the return of a few famous POIs from seasons past. The huge seasonal change has shifted the battle royale dramatically, dropping Fortnite fans into a warped version of the Chapter 2 map. Fortnite v15.00 takes players to “Zero Point” island The biggest change is that the center-point of the island, previously focused around Midas’ lair at The Authority, has now become a barren wasteland. Right in the middle of the Chapter 2 map now lies the ‘Zero Point,’ pulsing with energy. Epic has also added three new POIs; Hunter’s Haven, Stealthy Stronghold, and the Colossal Coliseum. On top of the new areas, Fortnite fans will also be happy to see Pleasant Park and Tilted Towers — now called “Salty Towers” — back on the map. Fortnite blends Salty Springs, Tilted Towers The iconic Tilted Towers POI — last seen disappearing under lava from the Volcano in Season 8 — is back in Season 5, with a salty twist. Epic has finally brought back the iconic Season 2 point of interest, but blended it with another famous POI, the Salty Springs. This mixed POI is located where Salty has stood in past seasons, just to the left of the ‘Zero Point’ incident. Read more: Fortnite v15.00 update: Season 5 patch notes – So far the Salty Towers location has only been revealed in the Fortnite Season 5 battle pass trailer. Epic should officially announce its return soon enough. Three new POIs added in Season 5 Stealthy Stronghold Stealthy Stronghold is a new castle-like structure in the north. It appears to have a huge wall surrounding it. The Stronghold has been added in the space above Pleasant Park, and to the left of Craggy Cliffs. There was previously no named POI in that area in Season 4. Hunter’s Haven Hunter’s Haven is two industrial buildings, built into the side of a hill at the northernmost peak of Fortnite’s Season 5 map. There are interior rooms to find loot, as well as multiple wide platforms for good vantage points down the hills. Read more: What’s in the Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass? – The Stronghold has been added in the empty space below the Zero Point. It appears to the left of Lazy Lake, and across the river from Misty Meadows. Colossal Coliseum The last of the three new POIs is Colossal Coliseum, home to Menace, who Jonesy dubs “realities greatest gladiator… who has never been defeated.” It’s styled like a Roman arena, complete with ceremonial statues and viewing stages. The battlefield within the coliseum also has a number of classical weapons, chariots, and dangerous implements to spice things up. Towering above all, in his rightful place, is Peely, ironed in gold and brandishing a salute to the Fortnite world. In terms of confirmed Fortnite map changes for this patch, we’ll continue to update this page with more info as and when it’s made available. More POIs Greasy Grove Durrr Burger is one of the new POIs in the new Greasy Grove area in the map. Close to Weeping Woods, you can find it at the south-west part of the map. Weeping Woods Weeping Woods also features some changes from last season, with a bunch of new POIs and cabin layout changes. The cabins of Weeping Woods have also overgone a makeover, with new cabins situated around the location. There’s also a new playground outside of the cabins, with swings and other familiar rides. Slurpy Swamp Slurpy Swamp features an overhaul, too. Here, you can pick up quests to partake in, and also stop by the new Flushed Building POI for some chests. Right on the south-west edge of the map, this can be a risky place to drop into. Make sure to stop by this part of the map as one of the locations to grab new quests from Bandolier, one of the in-world NPCs. Holly Hedges Holly Hedges features a new gas station, Viking Village. With a longboat situated on top of it, it’s possibly a reference to the Viking areas in the prior seasons of the game. There’s also a quest giver NPC here, too, so make sure to stop off at this gas station often. Hunter’s Haven Butter Barn In the middle of the map, one of the new POIs you’ll find is Butter Barn, surrounded by slippery quicksand that you’ll sink into and have to break out of if you’re not quick. Mancake is a quest giver here, too, so make sure to stop by. Stealthy Stronghold A new, jungle-themed biome that’s surrounded by huge walls, this jungle-themed biome is a great place for a shootout. The Orchard Ever-popular with fans, The Orchard is back! To the north-east of Colossal Colosseum. This time it featuring Sunflower as a new quest-giver NPC. Near The Orchard is a small island that’s connected to the mainland by a bridge. In it, alongside a gas station, is a barn with another quest-giving NPC – Farmer Steel. Loot on the roof of buildings makes places like barns and hangars a great place to drop in. This one just outside of Colossal Colosseum is one of those places. Salty Towers Tilted Towers has been blasted by a covering of sand in the new season after the Galactus event changed everything on the map. A great place to land on rooves to grab some great loot and get some sniper shots, makes sure to drop in here. Drive-In The drive-in POI has undergone a sandy overhaul, with quicksand making it essential to keep moving in this area. More to follow…

Fortnite revenue severely plummets compared to last year – Dexerto
Fortnite revenue severely plummets compared to last year Epic GamesNew data shows that while Fortnite still remains on top in revenue when compared to other battle royales, it has dropped significantly from 2018 to 2019. Fortnite makes a killing on cosmetics by updating the item shop daily with new options, but the revenue has taken a major hit year-over-year. According to data revealed Edison Trends, the revenue has dropped 52% from Q2 2018 to Q2 2019. Of course, there are a lot of factors that could have come into play here. Fortnite popularity was massive in 2018 due to its fresh appeal and the ability for new players to jump in without much issue. This led to more people throwing money at the game since they were having tons of fun with it, but something changed in 2019 that led to a decrease in spending. By the time of the 52% drop, it was Season 9, which means Fortnite was being hit hard by the community due to the Baller meta and several other things. At this point, Fortnite was a lot less noob friendly and if you weren’t a day-one player who knew how to build, it was pretty hard to get into and remain competitive. Fortnite remained on top of all the battle royales so although there was a drop, it wasn’t enough to knock it out of the number one spot which shows how much staying power Fortnite has. Read more: Apex Legends, which released in February, shot past both PUBG and Black Ops 4 to take the number two spot in terms of revenue but remains far from Fortnite’s heights. Whether Fortnite can match its pinnacle again remains to be seen but if they keep the crossovers coming as they did with Batman, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. –

Fortnite reveals The Last Laugh bundle ft. Joker & Poison Ivy skins – Dexerto
Fortnite reveals The Last Laugh bundle ft. Joker & Poison Ivy skins Epic Games/Warner Bros.Fortnite has revealed a Joker skin and the return of Midas, coming in ‘The Last Laugh’ bundle. The bundle is set for release in November, though, so fans still have some time to wait. Fortnite is well-known for its incredible crossovers, which bring pop culture’s biggest characters into the building battle royale. We’ve seen Star Wars and Marvel characters coming to Epic’s title, and we’re going back to the DC Universe in November. We’ve already seen Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn come to Fortnite, as well as the Caped Crusader bundle focusing on Batman. On August 15, ‘The Last Laugh’ bundle was revealed, featuring three new skins and a host of other content. A quick glance at the included skins explains where its name comes from, with a Joker skin on offer. While Joaquin Phoenix’s reincarnation of the Joker has received widespread attention, this interpretation of the Crown Prince of Crime appears to me more akin to how he appears in the comic books. A leak posted to Reddit has revealed exactly how each of the skins will look in-game. On top of this, the video showcases the extra cosmetic items available in the bundle. The bundle has been confirmed to include: Outfits: The Joker, Poison Ivy, Midas Rex – Backblings: Laugh Riot, Back Bloom, Midas Crest – Pickaxes: Bad Joke, The Joker’s Revenge, Ivy Axe, Kingmaker – Contrail: Pick a Card – It is important to note that this bundle will not be available on the item shop. The “Last Laugh Bundle” will cost real money, not V bucks. The Last Laugh Bundle release date and price It is set to release on November 17 and is estimated to cost $30. While slightly more expensive than some other bundles, these are some of the best additions Fortnite has had in some time. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch, and also the next-gen consoles, PS5 and Series X, when they launch.

Fortnite reveals major change coming to combat explicit Creative maps – Dexerto
Fortnite reveals major change coming to combat explicit Creative maps Fortnite.GG: geerzyFortnite has announced that a major change is coming to its Discovery Mode, which has been plagued by problematic content. When the Creative Mode came to Fortnite, it opened up the game to allow players access to a ton of tools to craft their own maps and games. But this came with a big issue when players were creating, and uploading, racist, homophobic, and insensitive content to the game for players to easily see. Now, the game has announced a change coming to the mode to try and stop this kind of content from making it through. Fortnite is making a massive change to Creative Mode The announcement was shared on X, in which the developers announced they will be bringing a new reporting tool to the Discovery and Creative modes. In the statement, Fortnite’s dev team said that along with continually tweaking and rewriting their moderator guidelines, they will also be adding an in-game reporting option that players can use. Much of the community’s response is grateful for the change coming, with one user saying that: “Reporting options will be great.” Many other Fortnite players are giving the announcement, and its change, a “W.” Others hope that this is just one step in a long process of making moderation even more extensive: “W, but I hope they will start to actively monitor and moderate it, and make the rules for submissions a lot more strict, especially for the AI art that is basically used all over the Discovery menu.” W but I hope they will start to actively monitor and moderate it and make the rules for submissions a lot more strict especially for the AI art that is basically used all over the discovery menu — SimonCap (@kapp_cap) January 31, 2024 It is clear that this announcement is a step in the right direction, but the community hopes that the devs don’t stop here to keep Fortnite an inclusive place for everyone.

Fortnite reveal when Deadpool skin will be available in Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite reveal when Deadpool skin will be available in Season 2 Epic GamesIt appears that Epic Games have finally revealed when Fortnite players will be able to get their hands on the Deadpool skin, following weeks of in-game challenges. Since its release way back in the summer of 2017, Fortnite has hosted a number of ambitious superhero crossovers, incorporating skins and game modes based on a number of popular comic books. These include the awesome Avengers inspired game mode, or the Harley Quinn cosmetics that were added when Birds of Prey hit theatres. An overriding theme of Season 2 has been Deadpool, with fans asked to complete weekly challenges to unlock cosmetics, building up to the release of his skin. It was previously unknown when the Deadpool skin itself would release, with players being given smaller rewards like wraps for completing the weekly challenges. However, a look inside Deadpool’s hideout following the most recent update is pretty indicative of when we can expect to see the merc with the mouth running around Epic Games’ battle royale. In his hideout, above the toilet, you can see a calendar with a date circled at some point in the near-future. While the calendar is actually incomplete and there are no numbers, it appears to indicate Friday, April 3, based on when it was updated and the date circled. How to get the Deadpool skin April 3 coincides with the release of the Week 7 Deadpool challenges, which are thought to be the final. Previous weeks have seen players collect a Deadpool-related item and take it out in-game. If you haven’t completed all the challenges yet, check out our complete guide for getting the Deadpool skin here. However, there is some speculation that Epic will set some extra, last-minute challenges to complete, before you are able to get your hands on the full skin. We’ll have to wait and see.

Fortnite reveals Inception & concert schedule for Party Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite reveals Inception & concert schedule for Party Royale Epic Games / Warner Brothers[jwplayer BbiWbi4j]Fortnite’s Party Royale concert and movie series continue, now with a slew of Christopher Nolan movies and some performances from popular artists like Diplo, Young Thug, and Noah Cyrus. Fortnite’s Travis Scott concert set a record with 12.3 million concurrent players in attendance. Then the game made history once again by premiering Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” trailer in-game, a first for a high-profile Hollywood film. Next on the agenda: Nolan movie watch parties and various concerts. Party Royale is a game mode dedicated specifically to virtually attending and enjoying live entertainment. The Travis Scott Astronomical concert showed just how captivating that can be on a community scale, while the Tenet trailer proved potential for video content. Read more: Can you play Fortnite on iOS 14 beta? – While Epic Games’ battle royale won’t be featuring a true album or full film premiere just yet, this weekend sets the stage for both with a live concert of Diplo’s latest album, “Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil,” with guests Young Thug and Noah Cyrus, as well as streams of Nolan’s films Inception, Batman Begins, and Prestige. We highlighted just three of the English-speaking countries’ schedules here, but the rest of the countries are available on Epic Games’ Party Royale web page. If you’d rather some vigilante justice instead of Nolan’s psychological thrillers, then you’ll just have to figure out a VPN for countries like Brazil, India, or the Maldives—which are some of the few locations airing Batman Begins. These events will likely dictate the future of Fortnite’s entertainment space, as the game continues to push the envelope for gaming collaborations. In Netflix’s 2018 earnings report, they noted that Fortnite is one of their biggest competitors. Two years later, the game is playing with the potential to exclusively premiere both movies and concerts.

Fortnite returns to iOS, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Fortnite returns to iOS, but there’s a catch Epic GamesEpic Games and Microsoft have entered into a partnership that bypasses the Apple ban and allows Fortnite to return to iOS. Epic Games and Apple have been at each other’s necks in a legal battle based around the Fortnite devs making V-Bucks cheaper in-game than they were in the Apple Store, damaging the relationships between the two companies. Since that moment, iOS players haven’t been able to play the coveted battle royale title on any of their Apple products. However, news has come out that Epic Games and Microsoft have entered into a partnership allowing Fortnite to return to iOS systems – with a catch. Fortnite returns to iOS through Xbox Cloud Gaming On May 5, 2022, Microsoft announced that they had entered a partnership with Epic Games, allowing Fortnite to become playable through Xbox’s Cloud Gaming. To “expand” their “business model to make cloud available to more people,” Microsoft brings the battle royale-based shooter to Android phones and tablets, Windows PC, and, last but not least, iOS systems through the use of a web browser. Announced through their official Twitter account on May 5, 2022, Microsoft stated that players looking to bring Fortnite to their iOS devices won’t need to pay a penny for the game or service either. Take your Victory Royale to the Cloud. Drop into @FortniteGame on your phone, tablet, or PC with Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for free. No install or subscription required: https://t.co/uh6uFw2PgD pic.twitter.com/P5x4NneZmw — Xbox (@Xbox) May 5, 2022 Microsoft also mentioned that Fortnite would be their “first free-to-play title” on Xbox Cloud Gaming. So, players won’t need a subscription or installation hassle to jump off the battle bus and into the mayhem – just open a chromium-based browser and launch into the battle royale. While this news comes as a shock to most, this is only the beginning for Microsoft and its partners like Epic Games as they will continue to “learn, implement feedback, and in time look to bring even more free-to-play titles to players through the cloud.”

Fortnite returning to iOS in 2023? Epic Games CEO teases Battle Royale’s comeback – Dexerto
Fortnite returning to iOS in 2023? Epic Games CEO teases Battle Royale’s comeback Epic GamesIt appears Fortnite may finally be returning to iOS devices in 2023 as Epic Games CEO has teased the Battle Royale’s comeback to Apple hardware after years of legal dealings. Fortnite has been absent from the App Store for the past two years, at least by conventional means. While a few workarounds have come and gone, the mega-popular Battle Royale title has largely been blocked on iOS devices due to Epic’s legal spat with Apple. Initially, Epic Games violated Apple’s rules by overriding App Store purchases and implementing their own shop directly in Fortnite. Apple responded by removing the game from its platform, which soon led to a lawsuit from the acclaimed game publisher, one they ultimately lost. Fast forward two years and although Epic suggested Fortnite may not return for half a decade, it appears the gears are now in motion much sooner than expected. If a vague tease from Epic CEO Tim Sweeney is anything to go by, Fortnite could very well be back on iOS at some stage in 2023. “Next year on iOS!” Sweeney said on Twitter just hours before 2023 came into focus. While the initial post itself obviously doesn’t mention Fortnite explicitly, a follow-up image of the BR’s in-game celebration for the new year is quite indicative. The year has only just begun, so there’s no telling just yet exactly when fans might be able to play Fortnite on Apple devices. Though it appears the game’s return to iOS is indeed on track for this calendar year. Given the historic scope of the legal battle between the two tech giants, and all the in-game items that came with it, it’s safe to expect a big splash across Fortnite when the game does return to iOS in 2023. We’ll be sure to keep you posted here as further details emerge.

Fortnite returning to iOS in Korea as Epic Games looks to mend Apple relationship – Dexerto
Fortnite returning to iOS in Korea as Epic Games looks to mend Apple relationship Epic GamesFortnite will once again be on iOS devices in the near future as Epic Games has reached a new agreement with Apple amidst their ongoing legal battle. What began on August 13, 2020, soon spiraled into one of the biggest legal battles in the gaming industry. Epic Games removed its hit battle royale Fortnite from the App Store while announcing a lawsuit against Apple. This all stemmed from a new payment structure in Fortnite that all but allowed players to bypass Apple’s 30% App Store fee. Almost imminently, the popular game was pulled down on handheld devices as a result. While the legal dealings have been messy and right in the public spotlight ever since, both tech giants could now be on the verge of turning a new leaf. Epic is seeking an agreement with Apple to redeploy Fortnite on iOS in Korea. Epic has asked Apple to restore our Fortnite developer account. Epic intends to re-release Fortnite on iOS in Korea offering both Epic payment and Apple payment side-by-side in compliance with the new Korean law. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) September 9, 2021 Korean players may be the first to get Fortnite back on their Apple devices, Epic Games announced in a September 10 tweet. While no specific date was outlined, the ‘intention’ is there as Apple must agree to meet in the middle due to new Korean laws. Rather than having just Epic-direct payments in the app or just Apple’s traditional payments with a 30% cut, Fortnite will soon “offer both” in Korea. This “side-by-side” agreement works “in compliance” with “new Korean law,” Epic added. So with the restoration of Fortnite on local iOS devices now underway, it could be the first domino to fall and indicate a path to resolution. Evidently not on the best of terms in recent months, Epic has now extended an olive branch once again and “asked Apple to restore [its] developer account.” If successful, this could see all Epic Games titles restored on iOS devices. Not just in Korea, but perhaps globally if the two companies can settle their differences following this new step. Read More: When does Fortnite Season 7 end? – It’s still early days yet, so anything is possible, though it certainly appears to be a step in the right direction for eager Fortnite fans waiting to play again on their Apple products.

Fortnite Return Request guide: How to get a refund for skins & cosmetics – Dexerto
Fortnite Return Request guide: How to get a refund for skins & cosmetics Epic GamesThere are hundreds of themed skins and cosmetic items available to buy in Fortnite, but what if you regret spending your V-Bucks and want a refund? That’s where Return Requests come into play. If you’re looking to get a refund for a skin or cosmetic in Fortnite, you’ll be glad to know that Epic Games have a Return Request option. This allows players to submit a Refund Ticket to give up their purchase and restore their V-Bucks. Following the recent v18.20 update, Epic have switched up the way Return Requests work. From this point onwards, every player will have access to three Return Requests, and these requests will refresh 365 days after they were last used. While you won’t be able to get any real-life money back using this method, you can restore the V-Bucks you’ve spent so you can use them for future purchases of skins and cosmetics. Below, we’re going to explain exactly how to do this. Contents How to get a refund with a Return Request – How to get more Return Requests – Can you get a Battle Pass refund? – How to get a refund with a Return Request in Fortnite Here are the steps to follow in order to get a refund in Fortnite: Load up Fortnite on your chosen device. – Go to the Settings menu and scroll across to the ‘Account and Privacy’ section. – Select ‘Submit a Request’ and choose the item you want to return. – Provide a reason for the refund – this can be anything. – Select ‘Submit Return Request’ to confirm your decision. – Once you’ve done this, you’ll see a screen that will tell you how many V-Bucks have been refunded to your account and how many Return Requests you have left to use. Only skins and cosmetics that have been purchased in the last 30 days are eligible for a Refund Ticket using this scheme, so you won’t be able to claim a refund for an item you purchased two years ago and don’t use anymore. Read More: Best landing spots in Fortnite – There are some exceptions, though: Consumable items such as the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Levels, or Llamas – which have an expiration date or disappear once used – are not available for refunds. This option only applies to permanent skins and cosmetics. How to get more Return Requests in Fortnite According to Epic Games, each player will have access to three Return Requests that will refresh after 365 days. However, when you use one, it will only refresh 365 days after the most recent Return Request was used. There aren’t any other ways to get more Refund Requests in Fortnite, so if you’ve used all of your allocated requests up, it’s simply a waiting game until you’ll get some more. Can you get a Battle Pass refund in Fortnite? It is not currently possible to get a refund for either the Battle Pass or any Battle Pass Levels you’ve purchased in Fortnite. According to Epic Games, this is because they are “consumables” that expire after a certain amount of time. You also won’t be able to get a refund for any item purchased with real money, like the starter packs or the Last Laugh bundle, or for Loot Llamas in Save The World mode as these are classed as consumable items that containt randomized rewards. Fortnite Respawn Vans might require a special item before reviving your team – Dexerto
Fortnite Respawn Vans might require a special item before reviving your team If Respawn Vans are actually coming to Fortnite, it looks like they will need a Reboot Card to use. Since the start of Season 8 players have been seeing what can only be described as Respawn Vans popping up around the map in Fortnite. While there has been no official word from Epic Games as to what these vans are, pretty much everything is pointing towards them being ways to respawn your teammates after they have been eliminated. All of this speculation comes on the heels of Apex Legends, a battle royale title from Respawn Entertainment that features an interesting mechanic that allows players to respawn despite being dead. Surviving teammates would have to obtain the respawn beacon from the dead teammate’s box and taking it a special spot on the map where the player would then be revived. When the vans first started popping up in Fortnite, fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that Epic Games was borrowing that idea, much like what players thought with the addition of the pinging system. In the Reddit post above, you can see a prompt appear next to the Respawn Van that indicates a Reboot Card is required to use it. It’s strange that so much information about these vans are out there without actually being available in the game as of yet. The only real question that remains, assuming this image is real and the vans are coming, is how will Reboot Cards be obtained. A simple way to do it would have your teammate drop them upon death as that’s how it works in Apex. Other ways would be through chests, loot drops or just random floor loot. It looks like Fortnite is on the verge of introducing this mechanic into the game, perhaps as possible as the next patch. Stay tuned for more information on the horizon.

Fortnite respawn van locations leaked – Dexerto
Fortnite respawn van locations leaked A Reddit user claims to have found more leaked respawn buses in Fortnite, perpetuating rumours that they could be added to the game soon. The respawn function has proved popular in battle royale rival Apex Legends, with players being able to revive fallen teammates at various locations on the map by collecting their respawn banner. Could a similar system be coming to Fortnite? Epic Games have already confirmed that they have been exploring the possibility of adding respawn functionality in Season 8 during an ask me anything session on Reddit at the end of February. Respawning looked to be close to becoming a reality on February 28 when images of respawning vans were uncovered and ‘Second_Chance_Van’ was found hidden in the game’s code. Although there were no updates in the most recent patch, v8.01, Reddit user u/Remizje was able to find the leaked respawn vans at various locations around the map using replay mode, fuelling speculation that they could be introduced to the game sooner rather than later. Second Chance Van…. Respawn coming to FORTNITE?! pic.twitter.com/qtoSpT0VyK — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) February 28, 2019 Vans were found at every point of interest on the map meaning almost all players should have the chance to bring their team-mates back onto the battlefield if respawn functionality is eventually added. It wouldn’t be the first time that Fortnite took inspiration from their competitors after putting a pinging system in place to help users easily locate loot and enemies. With the recent health/shield per kill being added to default playlists, being eliminated after being knocked down is even more frequent than in the past. Respawn functionality would be a welcome change and reward players who clutch up in fights even when their team-mates have been wiped out.

Fortnite players disappointed Resident Evil’s Leon has no alternate styles – Dexerto
Fortnite players disappointed Resident Evil’s Leon has no alternate styles CapcomFortnite players are disappointed that Resident Evil’s Leon arrived without any alternate styles such as his classic leather jacket. After weeks of rumors and leaks, Epic Games deployed Fortnite’s Resident Evil crossover on Thursday, March 16. The collaboration stars beloved RE characters Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Players can purchase both in the Item Shop, with each Raccoon City hero bringing their own special accessories. Leon’s extras include an Attaché Case Back Bling and Combat Knife Pickaxe. Meanwhile, Claire has access to the R.P.D. Keys Back Bling and Umbrella Parasol Pickaxe. Fans of Leon aren’t too happy about what he’s lacking, though. Many have expressed disappointment at the absence of certain alternate style options. Fortnite users want classic items for Leon’s styles in RE collab Fortnite’s ‘Edit Style’ function allows players to alter the look of Outfits with selectable styles. Many were hoping such a feature would be put to good use with Resident Evil’s Leon Kennedy joining the roster. Replies to Fortnite’s Twitter announcement about the Leon character indicate users had high hopes for two styles, in particular – Leon’s classic leather jacket and his RPD uniform. “A little disappointed with the skins not having edit styles ngl,” wrote one Twitter user in the post below: The replies are filled with more responses similar to these too. For instance, another player said, “Give us Jacket/RPD Leon and 98 Claire Styles.” Another Twitter user asked, “No edit styles?” Interestingly, the leather jacket for Leon appears to count among the most requested edit styles. It’s unclear if developers at Epic Games will answer the call. Either way, such a collaboration couldn’t have launched at a better time. Capcom’s eagerly-anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake, which stars Leon S. Kennedy, hits PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms next week on March 24.

Reboot Van coming to Fortnite in v8.30 update – how it works – Dexerto
Reboot Van coming to Fortnite in v8.30 update – how it works Epic GamesNumerous leaks in Fortnite have pointed to the release of Reboot Vans but Epic Games finally confirmed they are coming in update v8.30. In true Fortnite fashion, a game-changing update is set to debut right before the start of a major in-game tournament. This tournament in question is, of course, the Fortnite World Cup. Players have been reporting Respawn Vans popping up around the world but Epic Games have remained tight-lipped about this addition. When will Respawn Vans be added to Fortnite? Epic Games confirmed the Respawn Van will be coming into the game with the v8.30 update and released a short video detailing how they will work. If you’re a player of Apex Legends, another battle royale with a respawn mechanic, then all of this will sound very similar to you. How does the Respawn Van work in Fortnite? The vans will allow members of a squad to revive an eliminated teammate and allow them to get back into the action instead of having to spectate for the duration of a map. This will be especially helpful for players who go out early and have to watch the remainder of their team player for upwards of 20 minutes. As reported earlier, the Reboot Van will require a Reboot Card, which is dropped by an eliminated player, to use. Using the van will set off a beacon that can be seen by other players in the game so the respawn might be contested if you are spotted. Players will respawn in straight on top of the van instead of being delivered by a plane like in Apex Legends. Players will spawn in with no items so it will be important to deliver them some loot. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Fortnite pro players – Once the van is used it will become unavailable for use by other players so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. The update is expected to go live on Tuesday, April 9 or Wednesday, April 10.

Rumored Fortnite x Resident Evil collab to feature Leon and Claire – Dexerto
Rumored Fortnite x Resident Evil collab to feature Leon and Claire CapcomAccording to a new rumor, Epic Games plans to release a Fortnite and Resident Evil collab starring Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. For the last several years, Fortnite’s brand crossovers have brought countless pop culture touchstones to Fortnite Island. Everyone from Batman to Goku has appeared in the Item Shop, with numerous video game characters joining the fun as well. Just recently, for instance, The Witcher 3’s Geralt of Rivia arrived in a Battle Pass. The likes of Kratos, Doom Slayer, and Lara Croft have also joined the Epic-developed Battle Royale. But the studio won’t run out of ideas anytime soon, especially if the latest rumors about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 prove accurate. Fortnite x Resident Evil collab rumored for Season 2 Reputable leaker HYPEX says they, along with another leaker ShiinaBR, heard from a source that claims a Resident Evil and Fortnite crossover is in the works. Apparently, the unannounced collaboration will bring Resident Evil 2 stars Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to the Fortnite Item Shop. And the content could go live during Chapter 4’s second season, which officially kicks off on Wednesday, March 8. Epic and Resident Evil publisher Capcom have yet to confirm the Fortnite collab rumors. However, such a partnership wouldn’t come as much of a surprise. In addition to the RE property enjoying great success in recent years, Capcom has also been very giving with respect to brand crossovers. Resident Evil featured in two different Dead by Daylight chapters in the last couple of years, for example. The Resident Evil crossover isn’t the only Fortnite-related hint making the rounds, either. Reportedly, Season 2 will additionally introduce Eren Yeager of Attack on Titan fame.

Fortnite reportedly set to copy popular Minecraft feature in Season 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite reportedly set to copy popular Minecraft feature in Season 5 Epic Games / MicrosoftFortnite’s NPCs introduced in Season 5 have been a blast, and they might be getting even better after a leaker hinted at some upcoming NPC features similar to those available from villagers in Minecraft. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 introduced plenty of new content, from new skins and map changes to different crossovers. However, the addition of NPCs has been one of the most impressive changes. As it stands, NPCs are tied into an elaborate quest system where players can earn Gold Bars and trade them in for weapon unlocks and upgrades. They can even use them to hire NPCs to become their bodyguards. It’s not a perfect system, and it needs a bit of work, but it seems like Epic Games is already on the case. There’s plenty of tweaks and changes still to come. And, according to a popular leaker, they’ll be adding some extra NPC services similar to those available from villagers in Minecraft. HypeX, who is known for leaking many bits and pieces throughout the years, dropped the hints on Twitter. He mentioned two new features; the NPCs will be able to buy loot from players, and they’ll be able to call down Supply Drops for 600 Gold. “We might get more NPC services where they buy loot from you or spawn 1 supply drop for 600 gold!” he said. It’s similar to how players can sell their items to villagers in Minecraft and receive emeralds in return. We might get more NPC services where they buy loot from you or spawn 1 supply drop for 600 gold! — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 21, 2020 The idea of selling unwanted items like Legendary Pistols in exchange for Gold Bars is fantastic. It means Fortnite players have more ways to raise their funds and even get into the habit of hunting and selling rare items. The ability to call down a Supply Drop would be handy, too, especially in dire situations. 600 Gold Bars is a pretty steep price, but the loot could pull you out of a pinch. Plus, if you’re able to sell items, you’ll get them back in no time. Unfortunately, there’s no definitive proof that these features are coming anytime soon. However, HypeX is almost always on the ball, and if he says it could happen, then it’s certainly a possibility.

Fortnite fans report worldwide outage following server hack – Dexerto
Fortnite fans report worldwide outage following server hack Fortnite players have been reporting server outages November 9, as an apparent hack briefly affected the game – preventing people from loading into a match. High-profile players like SypherPK, Jaomock, and more along with various members of the Fortnite community chimed in to bring attention to the apparent attack. It seems like the hacker group known as “Lizard Squad” are claiming the outages, saying they were “testing [their] botnets strength.” Shortly after, the account started retweeting multiple instances of the Epic Game’s title failing to connect to in-game services, allegedly due to the group’s hack of the game. The hacker’s Twitter account shows screengrabs from multiple players that show the game being inaccessible, along with people giving Lizard Squad credit for the downs: “damn u shut off Fortnite comp.” While there are numerous instances of reported issues, the Epic Games server status tracker has “no incidents reported today” for November 9, confusing a ton of players. The server issues seemed to attract the attention from players all over, as some were calling for fans to rally to bring attention to the issue. “Attention all Fortnite gamers the game is under attack and needs your help,” SypherPK said. It’s unknown if the problem is related, but players competing in the second week of the Fortnite Championship Series for Squads have also been experiencing problems with the tournament’s servers. Is there a statement from epic somewhere? Are we finishing this out? Did the first game count? Is the time going to be extended? Fortnite removes Travis Scott’s ‘Out West’ emote after Astroworld incident – Dexerto
Fortnite removes Travis Scott’s ‘Out West’ emote after Astroworld incident Epic GamesEpic Games have removed Travis Scott’s ‘Out West’ emote from the Daily Item Shop days after a tragic Astroworld incident left eight dead among concertgoers. The ‘Out West’ emote was put into the shop’s daily item offering ahead of the Houston, Texas event. Epic later took down the daily section in its entirety and said it would return in the next update to the store. “It’s known that the ‘Daily’ section of the Item Shop has been disabled,” Epic said. “This is intentional and the ‘Daily’ section will return with the next Item Shop refresh.” The ‘Out West’ emote plays a snippet of the JACKBOYS and Travis Scott track of the same name. Fortnite removing building puts Epic Games in an impossible situation – Dexerto
Fortnite removing building puts Epic Games in an impossible situation Epic GamesBuilding has been a key component of the Fortnite formula ever since it launched back in 2017, but its temporary removal has made the game better than ever before. Now, Epic Games is backed into a corner. With the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic finally took the plunge and answered a long-standing call from the community. Building, one of the game’s core mechanics, has been removed. At least, temporarily. The ability to construct cover and build bases on the fly has been hotly debated among the playerbase for many years, dividing it into two distinct camps: Those who feel that building is what makes Fortnite unique to other battle royale titles, and those who see at as a frustrating barrier between the casual and hardcore. Well, after just a couple of days experimenting without the feature, I can safely say – hand on heart – that this is the best Fortnite has been since the early days. For the first time since the game was released, Fortnite players can no longer build in the standard battle royale mode. The ability to collect materials is totally disabled and matches are decided solely in frantic gunfights rather than games of “who can build the biggest tower.” The decision has certainly got people talking and it’s only fuelled the debate that has been raging for the better part of five years. For those who had long fallen out of love with Epic’s world-dominating battle royale, like myself, it’s given them a much-needed reason to get excited again. Streamer reactions Big streamers such as Tfue and Ninja, who owe much of their success to streaming Fortnite, have echoed the feelings of formerly disgruntled fans, urging Epic to make the change into a permanent fixture. In a Twitter post, Ninja declared that the days since Season 2 got underway have been the “most fun I’ve had on Fortnite in YEARS.” Meanwhile, the tweak was enough to drag superstars like TimTheTatman away from Warzone to see what all the fuss was about. Even those who have been vocally critical of Fortnite and its gameplay, such as Dr Disrespect, conceded that removing building has opened up a side of the game that they can get behind. It was actually fun. Thought I’d never say that about Fortnite. Ever. — Dr Disrespect (@DrDisrespect) March 22, 2022 Fortnite removing building has been a gamechanger It’s probably not all that surprising that a match of Fortnite without the crutch of spawning walls, ramps, and roofs to get out of a pinch is a vastly different experience. In fact, it completely shifts the experience and it’s all the better for it. Gone is the fear of running into an enemy player capable of dizzying hand gymnastics to erect a wooden palace complete with doors and wi-fi in seconds. Instead, spotting an unsuspecting Peely on the horizon feels like an opportunity. Pop-shots are now far less risky and well worth taking because you know that landing those early hits gives you the upper hand immediately. It promotes a much more aggressive style of play and invites everyone out of the bushes and into the fight. I, like many, was concerned that the removal of building would leave an uninspiring third-person shooter in its wake, but that’s far from the case. Epic has gone through great lengths to make its gunplay stack up against other modern titles, and it’s a testament to their work that Fortnite is still a blast when all you have is your guns to fall back on. The gap between the casuals and more experienced has never been lower, as each encounter is a test of your aim and use of equipment rather than your ability to build. The addition of red dot sights and thermal scopes means that anyone who has even dabbled in another shooter can now not only hold their own, but scoop a Victory Royale for themselves. All-in-all, every single encounter feels fair and balanced, and death no longer saps my motivation to play. It’s far less punishing to lose because you were too slow on the draw than if your opponent trapped you inside a vertical maze after you scored a single hit. While this might not sit well with the hardcore players who have spent hours in Creative mode practicing building, it does alleviate one of the game’s longest-running issues for those unable to dedicate the time to master the mechanic. The other side of the fence As you can imagine, the decision to do away with such a core part of the game’s identity hasn’t pleased everyone. Many still maintain that Fortnite without building isn’t Fortnite at all. A common argument is that throwing up cover and taking fights to the sky is Epic’s unique selling point – the key feature that separates it from it the competition. Naysayers believe that it adds an extra layer of competition, and if you want to play a battle royale without this mechanic, then there are plenty of other options out there. Others feel that “no-build” mode is at odds with the design of the map, and it’s actually disrupting matches more than helping them. “The map is made for building, lots of open stretches of nothing, so if you ever find yourself in an open area getting shot at there is nothing you can do but wait to die and start over,” said one disgruntled fan. Although this has made for huge news, and it’s certainly brought people back on board for the time being, there’s still plenty of no-build hate. Check out the comments on the Reddit thread above for more examples. Epic Games stuck in an impossible position All things considered, it’s hard to argue this experiment hasn’t been a hit. But by carrying out this overwhelmingly successful test, Epic may actually find itself in a spot where there is no winning. If they choose to make “no-build mode” the standard going forward, they face alienating the die-hard fans who fell in love with Fortnite because of the unique mechanic. Remove it and those who got a taste of the good life will jump ship in droves once again. Choosing one or the other is going to be controversial, as the community is torn at the moment. Some may see it as a dead game revived, while those who were continuing to enjoy it are counting down the days for building to return. The safest option is probably to implement both modes and give players the option, much like Warzone’s Rebirth Island. Yet, that could quickly split the community in half as both bid to become the ‘main’ iteration of the game. Ultimately, the developers are wedged between a rock and a hard place, and they have a huge decision to make about the future of Fortnite. Only time will tell if Fortnite without building becomes a staple going forward, but one thing is for sure – this has been the most fun I’ve had with Fortnite in years. Long may it continue.

Fortnite Reload’s “best thing” has nothing to do with the mode itself – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload’s “best thing” has nothing to do with the mode itself Epic GamesFortnite’s OG Reload mode has returned tons of classic features in the popular throwback mode, to the point where players are more focused on reliving the glory days than playing the game. With 34 unvaulted weapons originating from many of the OG seasons and a smaller map filled with everybody’s old favorite POI locations, it’s no surprise Reload is more popular than every other mode combined. However, aside from the classic gameplay and the map itself receiving flurries of praise, many have highlighted that the best part of Reload is the nostalgic experiences that have naturally spawned. One of which has been the iconic conga lines with opposing players during matches, and this Reload player may have been a part of the best one yet. They revealed several screenshots from their match to show off several friendly players in unison, many of which were rocking old skins that have been vaulted for years. “This is the stuff I wanna get back to,” a player said, as more chimed in: “love when this happens, just chill people doing goofy stuff.” “Never seen something like that for sure in a public lobby. All the remaining 28 players joined I was flabbergasted!” The OP responded. Meanwhile, OG Fortnite creator SquatingDog posted him landing at Chapter 1’s Retail Row and performing an emote to trigger the massive fish in front of the shop to start dancing. “For real this is the best thing they brought back with Fortnite Reload,” they claimed. “I absolutely forgot about this! Thanks, I wish Fortnite had more of these funny easter eggs these days,” one player replied. “Only true OGs. Every time we see this fish we do the same thing to see if they still activate when we do this,” another said, as one added: “This was one of the first things I went to check on when landing Retail.” Fortnite’s fast-paced Reload mode launched on June 22 as part of the 30.20 update, although Epic has not officially confirmed if the mode is permanent despite the positive reception.

Fortnite removed Bounties a week before the new season leaving players utterly confused – Dexerto
Fortnite removed Bounties a week before the new season leaving players utterly confused FortniteFortnite devs revealed the Bounty SHADOW Briefing has been removed, as the team looks to revamp the in-match combat objective. In a tweet shared by FortniteStatus on Twitter/X, the devs tweeted out: “We’ve removed Bounty SHADOW Briefings with today’s update while we consider a fresh take on this type of in-match combat objective.” The post concluded with: “All other SHADOW Briefings, such as Plunder and Supply Drop, are not affected and this should have no impact on existing Quests.” The general community sentiment around this decision is why, given Chapter 5 Season 3 is a week away from arrival. Players pleaded the developers could’ve left Bounties in-game and implemented the new changes with Season 3’s arrival. Yet the biggest community sentiment targeted the recent shift in Fortnite’s approach to the battle royale. As of recent, Fortnite’s decision-making regarding in-game changes has been under fire by the community, as many of the changes seem to be an attempt at Fortnite reviewing its image to be less than violent. The Dead Game skin change is one example that left the community utterly baffled. Aside from the questions, a few of the responses to the Bounty removal blasted Fortnite’s tone change of late. “Too confrontational huh? Wouldn’t want to encourage people to harm each other in a battle royale” one comment said. Another added to the previous comment by saying Disney’s investment in Epic Games influenced this change and that “guns will be toy lasers or squirt guns before long.” It’s possible the developers may be looking into adjusting Bounty logic, as it may have targeted bots that populate the battle royale, rather than actual players. For now, it’s uncertain how the Bounty system will change, or if it’ll even return, and Epic Games hasn’t elaborated on the decision to remove it either.

Fortnite Reload revives Chapter 5 & becomes more popular than every other mode combined – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload revives Chapter 5 & becomes more popular than every other mode combined Epic GamesFortnite Reload, released on June 22, revitalized Chapter 5 and reached over a million concurrent players within the first hour. Chapter 5 Season 3 had a rough start with the introduction of vehicle-based gameplay. Despite Fortnite’s efforts to balance this with Nitro Fists and Boogie Bombs, players were not impressed. However, the launch of Reload mode, focused on the classic gameplay from Chapter 2, is drawing more players back to the servers. Between all of Fortnite’s official game modes, such as Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Zero Build, and Battle Royale, Fortnite Reload still gained more players. These numbers are reminiscent of when Fortnite Season OG was released at the end of Chapter 4, which saw a similar influx of players. The new Fortnite Reload game mode brings ten squads (40 players) into a new map, redesigned from the ground up to include new and old POIs. With unlimited reboots and a sky full of Rifts, players can relive the days of Chapter 2 with a twist. Another incentive that has gotten players into Fortnite Reload is the different rewards being made available, including an exclusive Victory Royal Glider and multiple new sets of challenges. Some community members have called the new mode the “rescuer” of Chapter 5 due to the general dislike for the vehicle meta, which was present in the comments underneath the post. “See this is what happens when they don’t listen to those darn sweats! My beautiful game is finally back!! Yippee!!!” exclaimed one player on X. “Ended all the metaverse modes in less than an hour,” added another. Fortnite Reload will be a permanent game mode going forward, meaning players who enjoy the look and feel of OG can still enjoy it regardless of the season.

Fortnite Reload leak suggests change everybody wants is coming soon – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload leak suggests change everybody wants is coming soon Epic Games / DexertoFortnite leakers have discovered that the Battle Royale’s new Reload mode will be receiving a huge update, in the form of a map rotation feature that everybody has been asking for. Ever since Fortnite’s OG Reload mode was released on June 22, 2024, it has proved to be a popular mode for players to reminisce. However, the community has often shared fresh ideas and changes that could be implemented to make it even better. One of the most highly requested suggestions for Reload has been to implement a similar map feature found in Apex Legends and Warzone. This relates to the idea of a ‘map rotation’ element involving different maps switching in after a certain time limit. Despite these just appearing in several Fortnite posts among the player base until now, trusted leaker HYPEX has revealed it is set to arrive soon in an upcoming update. According to them, another map will be added to Reload’s map pool, bringing the total to two. They further stated that the maps will rotate every 30 minutes and that when you’re queuing up for your match, you will be able to see which map is available to play. In regards to what exactly the new map will entail, if it were to be added to Fortnite Reload, remains to be unknown. However, with the original map including several classic POIs, such as Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, and Retail Row, it is expected to feature more legendary POI locations from previous seasons. Despite Epic not yet announcing anything official regarding this, fellow leaker Krowe_Moh, who helped discover the leak, has stated that the map rotation feature “should be releasing in the next update (30.20).” For Fortnite Reload, we also have complete guides for all new, vaulted, and unvaulted OG weapons, and every quest you can complete while playing the mode.

Fortnite Reload players demand “perfect” map feature from Warzone and Apex Legends – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload players demand “perfect” map feature from Warzone and Apex Legends Epic Games / Raven SoftwareThe Fortnite community has rallied behind an idea for Epic Games to introduce a popular map feature found in Apex Legends and Warzone to improve the brand-new OG Reload mode. One player blew away the Fortnite community in the FortniteBR Reddit, with their smaller Battle Royale island map concepts for the new Reload mode. They posed the following question: “What if Reload had other maps?” The three map concepts were based around different snow, jungle, and desert biomes and have taken inspiration from several iconic POI locations. They received instant praise, “These are seriously some of the best map concepts I’ve ever seen,” one said, as another responded: “Someone hire this fella.” However, the topic of conversation soon shifted after it gave the idea for an interchangeable map feature previously used in Apex Legends and within Warzone’s fan-favorite Resurgence mode. “Reload would be perfect for having a random map each game,” the top comment read as tons of responses flew in to support the feature. “Holy s**t that’d be perfect, I’d never log off lol,” one said. Various players called for Epic to adopt the same beloved map feature used in Apex Legends: “Have it like Apex back in the day. Switch out maps and loot pools every thirty mins or an hour.” Another added, “Apex did this with their maps where they would swap out the maps every designated time limits. The stable community would always play but there would be a huge increase of players every time the originals or preferred maps came into rotation.” More supported the idea of using a similar feature found in Warzone’s Resurgence mode. “Hope down the line it does. They could literally just copy what Resurgence does in Warzone and have a rotation of maps, and it changes to a different one every 20/30 minutes.” Fortnite’s fast-paced Reload mode launched on June 22 following the first Metallica live concert event and features several classic Chapter 1 POI locations and tons of old weapons returning from the vault.

Fortnite Reload is so good that players are abandoning standard BR modes – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload is so good that players are abandoning standard BR modes Epic GamesFortnite Reload is driving players away from battle royale in droves as player count drops to the lowest it’s ever been in the last year. The OG-inspired mode has overtaken all other Fortnite game modes regarding player count, but players are now slowly but surely ditching the Battle Royale. For the first time since player numbers were made available to the public in March 2023, Battle Royale has hit an all-time player count low at just 188,000 players. While just over 150,000 players might sound impressive, these numbers are worrisome when compared to the typical daily player count for Battle Royale. On a good day, Battle Royale can reach up to half a million players but typically sits at a minimum of 200k. However, with the introduction of Fortnite Reload and the addition of duo queue, it’s evident what the Fortnite player base prefers. Fortnite Reload aims to recapture Chapter 1 and 2’s glory days with old-school weapons and locations, and it’s succeeding. Upon learning about the record-low player count in Battle Royale, the gaming community on X was quick to voice their opinions. Fortnite players don’t believe the normal BR mode is being abandoned just because Reload is a must-play mode. “Honestly, Reload is just a big breath of fresh air that brings fast-paced gameplay with the OG Fortnite charm. Regular BR was fun at the season’s start, but everything got nerfed to the ground so now it’s just uninteresting,” explained one commenter. Multiple other comments pointed to the nerfs that Fortnite dished out to make Season 3 more balanced. The vehicle mod meta brought more counters, such as Nitro Fists and Boogie Bombs. But, now that the season is closing in on the halfway point, player interest is dying down.

Fortnite players call out reload glitch that makes guns feel “awful” Epic GamesFortnite players claim a reload glitch in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is currently making every gun in the game feel “awful.” Epic Games deployed Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 update on March 8, unleashing several new NPCs, Points of Interest, and a few gameplay mechanics. As is the case with every seasonal update, the Season 2 release also dropped new weapons on the Island. The latest additions include everything from Zeus’ Thunderbolt and the Chains of Hades to previously unseen SMGs and sniper rifles. Unfortunately, it seems Fortnite’s most recent also brought along a bug impacting each gun’s reload system. Fortnite user draws attention to “awful” gun reload glitch In a Reddit post, a Fortnite player informed fellow fans of a reload bug currently affecting the game’s various guns. A gameplay video uploaded by the user demonstrates the issue, which boils down to the animation and actual reload functionality being out of sync. The Redditor explained, “In the video, you can fire before the bullet count changes, and before the hud element is complete. Actual reload timing (when you can first fire) and the animation are completely out of sync. The animation is longer than the actual reload on most weapons…” Problems with this particular reload glitch don’t stop there, according to the Fortnite player. They also identified an issue wherein weapons equipped with an extended mag “are never fully loaded after being picked up.” Apparently, this error has plagued their experience since Chapter 5 Season 1. In response to someone wondering if this glitch may be a product of the Speed Mag weapon mod, the original poster claimed it isn’t. “All guns feel bad.” Others quickly chimed in to agree, saying they, too, have noticed reloading hiccups in recent play sessions. “I noticed this too. Some guns are completely empty off spawn and need to be reloaded,” wrote one Fortnite user in the thread. Another person described their troubles with the reload glitch: “Yeah, I’ve noticed this a couple times where I’d sprint right after an animation finished, only to be immediately forced to reload again.” As of now, Fortnite players can only hope developers take notice of the bug and issue a fix sometime soon.

Fortnite Reload is getting a Duos option sooner than you think – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload is getting a Duos option sooner than you think Epic GamesEpic Games announced the wildly popular Fortnite Reload will be getting a Duo queue option on June 27. The highlight of the surprise update 30.20 was the arrival of Fortnite Reload, a Resurgence-style mode that lets players continuously respawn provided their team is still alive. It became insanely popular within the first few hours of launch, hitting a higher player count than all the other modes combined. Despite how fun it’s been claiming Victory Royales on the map made up of OG locales with throwback weapons, one criticism has been that the mode is restricted to Squads only. That said, leaks pointed to more matchmaking options coming in the future. Surely enough, Epic Games announced on Twitter/X that Duos would be coming to Fortnite Reload. The developers followed up that Duos will arrive on June 27 at 9 AM ET. As mentioned, when the mode arrived, the community grew tired of the Squad-only filter. So naturally, this announcement drew plenty of praise from fans. “FORTNITE ARE LISTENING, W!” one reply said, while another added: “Look at that size if that super hyper mega WIN!!!!” Much of the praise also hoped for more adjustments, with fans clamoring for Trios and a Solos filter, the latter a very popular demand among the player base. Well-known Fortnite community member FitzyLeaks shared their take on Solos: “Add Solos next with 5 lives.” Given the mode is still in its relevant infancy, it’s very likely the remaining queue options will shuffle in soon enough. The aforementioned leaks did mention Trios would join Fortnite Reload in the future. Interestingly enough, fans are speculating the arrival of Duos could also see the leaked Cybertruck vehicle. Until then, be sure to catch up on update 30.20’s content, which includes new weapons like the Heavy Impact sniper and Remote Explosives while also bringing back Reboot Rally.

Fortnite June 27 patch notes: Reload Duos, faster crawl speed, more – Dexerto
Fortnite June 27 patch notes: Reload Duos, faster crawl speed, more Epic GamesFortnite Update 30.20.01 has gone live, bringing with it Reload Duos and crawl speed improvements. Here are the patch notes. Epic Games deployed Fortnite’s 30.20.01 update on Thursday, June 27, a relatively minor patch that most importantly adds Reload Duos to the game. When hopping into the classic mode’s Duos offering, players can expect reboot timers to begin at 12 seconds before scaling up to 16 seconds later in the match. The surviving teammate can reduce the reboot time for their squadmates by 2 seconds if they down an enemy, 3 seconds if they eliminate them, and 5 by taking out an opposing team. Fortnite’s June 27 patch also introduces a few balance changes to Reload, chief among them a faster crawl speed when players are “down-but-not-out.” Patch notes for Fortnite 30.20.01 update A post shared by the official Fortnite Status account on Twitter/X notes that, in addition to Duos, the 30.20.01 patch only includes “some small balance adjustments” for Reload. The changes in question include all of the following: Crawl speed is now faster while “down-but-not-out.” – Shotguns now drop more often from chests. – Exotic and Mythic items drop slightly less frequently. – The new Reload mode initially entered the Fortnite rotation after the live Metallica concert event ended on Saturday, June 22. Reload’s since become incredibly popular courtesy of its OG Fortnite features. It’s already secured a spot as the most-played game mode, with player counts surpassing Battle Royale, regular Zero Build, and LEGO Fortnite. The game has several more major updates ahead of it, too, with players especially looking forward to the Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration. This particular event will go live with new skins, a POI, and more on July 19.

Fortnite Reload brings back the “GOAT” classic weapon from Chapter 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload brings back the “GOAT” classic weapon from Chapter 4 Fortnite ReloadPlayers are pumped as Fortnite Reload brings back the Mammoth Pistol, an old favorite from Chapter 4 Season 3. Out with the old, in with the prehistoric: The Lever Action Shotgun, Tactical Submachine Gun, and Hand Cannon have been replaced by the Thunder Pump Shotgun, Twin Mag SMG, and the Mammoth Pistol. Fortnite Reload is already shaking things up less than a month after its debut. Epic Games announced the latest changes through their Fortnite Status X account. The change, which is live now in both Reload and Reload Zero Build, revamps the loot pool with some nostalgic weapons from previous seasons. Players’ reactions to the changes have been extremely positive. The X post was met with comments like “Mammoth Pistol = HUGE W so satisfying. Way better than the Hand Cannon!” and “PEAK IS BACK.” The return of the Mammoth Pistol is heralded as the “GOAT’s” comeback, with many praising the developers for bringing back what they consider the best element of the Fortnite Reload season so far. One enthusiastic player even went as far as declaring Fortnite Reload “the only good thing this season.” The Mammoth Pistol is a hitscan weapon originally introduced in Fortnite Chapter 4, season 3. Unlike the Hand Cannon, it packs a bigger punch but has a smaller magazine size. Since its release, Fortnite Reload has attracted more players than any other mode. It recently hit a peak of over 400,000 concurrent players while the standard Battle Royale mode languished at its lowest player count ever. The Mammoth Pistol’s return is just the latest in a series of moves that turn Fortnite Reload into one of the most beloved game modes in Fortnite. While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed Fortnite Reload’s permanence yet, it’s clear that players can’t get enough of it.

Fortnite Reload Cup: Date, time & how to participate – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload Cup: Date, time & how to participate Epic GamesFortnite is hosting a test cup in Reload mode and it brings a new format of competitive gameplay. Here are all the details you need to know. Fortnite launched the Reload mode that brought back the OG map in July 2024 which peaked in concurrency higher than the standard Battle Royale mode. The game format also left the community divided, including our editorial team who believed the full OG map should’ve returned instead. Regardless, the Reload mode caters to Duo and Squads as of now offering them fast-paced gameplay with a lobby of 40 players. While it can also be played both in Ranked and Unranked lobbies, players have been waiting for competitive tournaments for the game mode. Fortunately, Fortnite has finally announced a trial Reload Cup that will bring a new competitive format. Here are all the details including the date, time, and how to participate. Fortnite Reload Cup date and time Fortnite Reload Cup will be conducted on August 1, 2024, only in two regions − Europe at 4:30 pm CEST and North America at 5:30 pm EST. The test tournament will only last for 2 hours from the start time and players will be able to play a maximum of 7 games in that span. You can check your local timings in-game on the Compete tab under the Reload Test Cup tile. Reload test cup format and eligibility Players who have reached Bronze I in Ranked Reload mode will be able to participate in the Fortnite tournament. The format will feature Squads matches across Battle Royale and Zero Build that players will also be able to load in Fill lobbies if they’re Solo, Duo, or Trios. When it comes to points format, Fortnite is introducing a point cap on eliminations, and here’s what the new scoring format looks like: 15 points for a win – 1 point at 4 Elims – 2 total points at 8 Elims – 3 total points at 12 (max of 12 Elims for points) – This means if you have more than 12 points for eliminations, you won’t gain any more points for eliminating an enemy. From there you’ll only score if you secure a dub in Reload. Are there any rewards in Reload Cup? Since this is just a test cup, unfortunately, there are no rewards for winners in the Fortnite Reload Cup. However, you can check out other cash cups offering generous rewards to winners, however those require you to play in the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Royale island. While you prepare yourself for Victory Royale, check out all the weapons in Reload mode and the best ways to play it in Fortnite.

Fortnite Reload and Season OG offer two futures for Epic to chase – Dexerto
Fortnite Reload and Season OG offer two futures for Epic to chase Epic GamesThe new Fortnite Reload mode offers Epic Games a choice to chase for its future, other than its highly popular Season OG’s Battle Royale gameplay. The question is, which is the right decision? Fortnite’s latest Reload mode has been gaining popularity since it dropped surpassing the overall concurrency rate of Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Royale modes and peaking at 1 million players within 24 hours of launch. The quick action Battle Royale and Zero Build gameplay brings back the Chapter 1 map and graphics in a smaller island and lobby. The only catch is that the mode throws you back into action once you’re eliminated, after a reboot time of 40 seconds, while your teammates work together to take out the enemy team and stay alive until you’re reloaded. Fortnite Reload brings back the OG map, albeit a smaller version of it that offers a fresh perspective on the remixed Battle Royale gameplay from Chapter 1 and Season OG. Reload mode has left a choice to be made, with Epic now standing between a new Battle Royale format or sticking to its roots with Season OG as a permanent mode Fortnite’s Reload mode is the future of classic OG gameplay Fortnite Reload is beloved by OG players. The quick gameplay brings back the thrill they experienced in LTMs like Late Game Arena or competitive Fortnite. While a traditional Battle Royale match lasts somewhere around 20-25 minutes, it’s still hard to rack up a high elimination count. With Fortnite Reload, you don’t have to worry about your teammate picking up your reboot card or reviving you as you can simply go guns blazing while your team forms a strategy between reboots. The mode thrives on teamwork and proper communication since one player on each team needs to stay alive and survive until other teammates reboot back in action. Personally, when I played my first match in Reload, I used the same strategy I used in all my Battle Royale matches – Loot, Outrun the Storm, and be the last one standing to claim the Victory Royale. However, my strategy was soon thrown out the window. As soon as I landed on Retail Row to loot between landmarks, I was instantly shot at by players using a Common Assault Rifle. No matter what weapon you’re wielding in Reload, as long as you’re good at aiming, you’ve got the upper hand. This style of gameplay has been missing in Battle Royale where players don’t need to rely on the rarity of their weapons or their building skill to claim the higher ground. In Reload, you can just Reboot onto an enemy’s build with an Assault Rifle and cause some serious damage. While some players might say Reload mode is full of sweats, the opposite is true. Reload provides casual players a level playing field where they can, without fear, have fun and gain some experience and self-confidence to participate in modern Battle Royale competitive tournaments. When it comes to practicing for Battle Royale tournaments, Fortnite players turn to Creative Maps that are either box fights or zone wars that don’t even put them in a scenario like they would be in while competing. This is where Reload adds value as it’s a practice ground modeled fully after Battle Royale gameplay, where players can simply play and get better for a sweatier Fortnite lobby. Season OG undoubtedly evoked feelings of nostalgia. However, Reload goes beyond mere sentimentality. It utilizes elements from the past to create a wholly new and engaging mode. It demonstrates how a smaller lobby can increase the action while maintaining the OG nostalgia and gameplay as closely as possible to pay homage to the classic Fortnite era while Epic pushes the envelope for the future of OG Battle Royale gameplay. While Epic is juggling between multiple game modes that are each distinct in their own right, they offer an avenue for Fortnite players to take a break from a tedious Battle Royale match. Reload is one such game mode that players can resort to if camping out and surviving the storm on a large map isn’t their thing. The future of Epic is right here with Reload, where instead of revamping an entire map, Epic can replace existing POIs with a newer one which can keep the island evolving as the Fortnite map has always done it season after season. (Words from Rishabh Sabarwal) Forget Reload – Fortnite OG needs to be permanent As an OG Fortnite player, I admit I was initially excited to play Reload to relive the nostalgia that Season OG successfully rekindled. However, after a few matches the gimmick quickly wore off, making way for disappointment. Yes, the fast-paced Reboot system does feel somewhat fresh. But, I can do that already in many popular OG-themed Creative maps, which aren’t disguised as being a BR. Reload is a near-carbon copy of Warzone’s Resurgence mode. It has implemented the same timed respawns for players, in which as long as someone is alive in your squad, they can respawn after a countdown. This not only directly encourages camping and hiding, but kills off the tense gunfights as you protect your life, as well as the satisfaction from getting eliminations and earning a coveted Victory Royale that makes Fortnite’s BR so addictive. Instead, Reload is a constant sweat fest. The pacing feels off compared to Resurgence. You end up with endless fights, constantly landing in, looting, and finding it impossible to get a team wipe as one person is hidden. Season OG captivated players by revisiting Fortnite’s beloved origins. With Reload releasing not even a year after the OG season, it’s diluting the nostalgia with a weaker mode. Epic has instead cashed in on the Fortnite community that loves anything classic and ‘OG’ to boost their falling player counts in Chapter 5. Reload just doesn’t cut it for me. I would much rather Epic focuses on perfecting Season OG to finally bring it back as a standalone permanent mode with some inventive features to truly reminisce in the classic BR gameplay that we all love. (Words from Josh Taylor)

Fortnite Release Most Cryptic Season 5 Teaser Yet With New Slogan – ‘Worlds Collide’ – Dexerto
Fortnite Release Most Cryptic Season 5 Teaser Yet With New Slogan – ‘Worlds Collide’ Epic Games has released another teaser ahead of the release of season 5 in Fortnite Battle Royale, giving another clue as to what fans can expect in terms of theme. It has been speculated that an historical theme of some sort will be part of season 5, with numerous historical objects being spotted appearing on the map. The portals are also a big clue, but no one is quite certain what it all means yet as Fortnite keeps everything well under wraps. Previous teaser images for season 5 included firstly a ‘kitsune’ mask of Japanese origin, and then an axe of some kind which many speculated was inspired by Greek or Norse mythology. More: When Does Fortnite Season 5 Start and Season 4 End? Everything You Need to Know About Season 5 of the Battle Pass – If anything, this third teaser, which includes the text “Worlds Collide” only complicates matters further, but perhaps suggests that there will be numerous historical and thematic inspirations ‘colliding’ for season 5. This would help make sense of otherwise random seeming objects that have been appearing in game too, which include an anchor and carriage. Season 5 is set to begin at 4am EDT (9am BST), and in addition to new skins and items, many are expecting serious map overhauls – some of which have already begun with the destruction of the Tomato Head etc. This new image shows two portals or rifts colliding, so perhaps fans can expect another live event similar to that of the rocket launch which happened recently. What exactly season 5 has in store for players remains shrouded in mystery, but whatever it is, it’s set to be very exciting for Fortnite fans.

As part of this series, Fortnite has incorporated trends such as TikTok’s ‘Rollie’ dance challenge and BTS’ mega-hit Dynamite into battleground emotes. How to get new ‘Chicken Wing It’ emote The new emote is now available as part of Fortnite Season 6. If you want to use the emote in your game, you will be able to purchase it from Fortnite’s in-game store, which is where players can purchase various cosmetic objects such as outfits and weapons to use in-game. The ‘Chicken Wing It’ dance on TikTok is a trend that first started to gain popularity in August last year. The announcement for this update was made on December 10 via this post on the official Fortnite Twitter page. Keep sharp! The v7.01 update releases Tuesday, December 11 at 5 AM ET (1000 UTC). — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 10, 2018 Since the patch notes for updates in Fortnite don’t get released until after the downtime begins, players will have to wait to see what the entirety of the update’s contents will be. However, Epic Games have already confirmed and teased at some of what players can expect to be in this update, one of which are brand new swords, or sword-like items. In addition to the wording used in the tweet above, Epic tweeted out this clip, which they captioned: “Coming soon… a weapon fit for a King” Coming soon… a weapon fit for a King :dagger_knife::crown: pic.twitter.com/n3kMDCS5IH — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 10, 2018 While these new swords look great aesthetically, it will be interesting to see how they will function, especially since the only other melee type item in the game are pickaxes. It’s likely that the swords will do substantially greater damage than pickaxes, which currently inflict 20 points of damage per swing. Read More: Fortnite player demonstrates how to stop enemies from using your Launchpad in build fights – In terms of game functionality, Epic might be introducing a mechanic in v7.01 that will cause a small damage to players who are aboard the new X-4 Stormwing when the plane gets destroyed. This idea was floated around on Twitter by Eric Williamson, the Design Lead for Epic Games, although he did not confirm whether it will be implemented in this update. Yes, we’ve discussed a small amount of damage to passengers when a plane is destroyed. Still determining what amount feels fair — Eric Williamson (@erwil9) December 9, 2018 One thing that has been confirmed for v7.01 is the addition of a new HUD element that shows the health of a vehicle that a player is using. We may also see some further map changes implemented, now that it’s getting closer to the second week of Season 7. Several points on the map look like they will be updated on a week-to-week basis, especially the castle that sits atop the new Polar Peak location. Fortnite Release Latest Developer Update – New Battle Pass, Map Changes, and Hop Rocks – Dexerto
Fortnite Release Latest Developer Update – New Battle Pass, Map Changes, and Hop Rocks FortniteEpic Games have released their latest Fortnite Developer Update on May 4th, the first since the launch of Season 4. In the update, developer David Spalinski discussed the additions made to the new Battle Pass, the Map changes, and the new Hop Rocks. Released every so often, the Fortnite Developer Update is a way for Epic Games to communicate with their massive player-base. Since the game launched in September of 2017, Epic have repeatedly shown how much they value community feedback, which is part of the reason why their game has become extremely popular. Read More: Fortnite Announce Their ‘Replay Royale’ Contest Winners – Final Placements and Winning Entries – In the May 4th update, one of the things discussed was how the Season 4 Battle Pass differs from previous ones. One major change is that players now can unlock body armor pieces to upgrade the new Carbide and Omega skins. These armor can only be earned by playing the game and cannot be purchased, which is something that hasn’t been seen before in Fortnite. In addition, players also can now access the entirety of their emote collection when they’re in a match, which includes the brand new spray can emotes that allow players to spray preset image to surfaces. The Update continues with a mention of the changes that have come to the Fortnite map, including the new locations Rusty Reels and of course Dusty Divot, which was formerly known as Dusty Depot before it got hit with the meteor. Perhaps the most interesting portion was when the developer discussed the new Hop Rocks, which are purple, glowing crystals found around craters that give players a heightened jumping ability. “We plan to try more things like these Hop Rocks in the future.” Could this mean that the Jetpack could be coming soon to Fortnite? After it was announced in March to be coming soon, the Jetpack project has been shelved due to “unforseen issues.” Perhaps the success of the Hop Rocks could mean that Epic are ready to finally add the Jetpack into Fortnite. – The full May 4th Developer Update can be viewed below, or on the Fortnite Twitter page.
