  • Fortnite: Release date and time announced for highly anticipated v6.31 update – what to expect – Dexerto

Fortnite: Release date and time announced for highly anticipated v6.31 update – what to expect Epic Games have announced the scheduling info for the highly anticipated v6.31 game update in Fortnite Battle Royale. The update is set to go live on Tuesday, November 27 at 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET / 10 AM GMT. Since this is a full game patch and not just a content update, there will be downtime, which means that matchmaking will be disabled 20-25 minutes prior to the release time. The announcement for this update was made on November 26 via this post on the official Fortnite Twitter page. Pump up your squad for the Legendary v6.31 update. Downtime begins Tuesday, November 27 at 5 AM ET (1000 UTC). — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 26, 2018 Since patch notes for these updates don’t get released until after the downtime begins, there is no way to know what the entirety of the contents will be prior to that. However, there have several things that Epic Games have already confirmed will be in the update, including the brand new variations of the Pump Shotgun, as hinted at in the wording used in the tweet above. Epic will be adding Epic and Legendary variants of the Pump Shotgun via this update, which has already caused quite a stir in the community when it was announced earlier on the 26th. fundamental change to how Pump Shotguns perform after the v6.31 update, which will improve the weapon’s effectiveness by increasing damage in close quarters while slightly reducing the range.Additionally, all shotguns will now have at least 3 pellets hit per shot, which should considerably increase the minimum threshold for damage across the board. Players can also expect for Epic to address the overpowered Mounted Turret item in one way or another. While it’s likely that they will implement further nerfs to it, there’s also the chance that they will just decide to vault the item altogether, considering how negatively its been received by the community since being added. Many are expected snow to be added to the Fortnite map at some point, preparations for which could be coming as early as this update.Make sure to follow us @Dexerto and monitor the Dexerto Fortnite page as we will bring to you the full patch notes, all leaked cosmetics, any and all map changes, and more.

  • Fortnite reimagined as an 8-bit game looks absolutely incredible – Dexerto

Fortnite reimagined as an 8-bit game looks absolutely incredible Epic GamesThanks to the many building features in Fortnite, fans have been able to make incredible works of art or memes. But popular YouTube channel Gamology reversed the script by making their own interpretation of the game ripped from the 80’s. Fortnite caters to a large audience and fans presumably from the older side of the spectrum created a video that shows off the popular game if it were an 8-bit adventure. Gamology’s 8-bit Fortnite concept takes the many features within the battle royale and translates them as multi-level adventure game that provides diverse challenges as the game progresses. It opens with a classic player select screen, after which the hypothetical user is given a choice between eight skins found in the game. Level 1 fittingly tasks the player to land safely while avoiding hazards after exiting a pixelated Battle Bus. Then the player treks on through six stages while completing challenges like build a base, get sniper kills, get kills while hiding in bushes, and more. After successfully traversing the many stages and sections of Fortnite’s map, the player is left with a last 1v1 against a final boss in the form of The Reaper, a Fortnite skin based off of super-assassin John Wick. The amount of nostalgia is incredible, as the many stages present gameplay sights and sounds that give nod to classic games such as Tetris, Duck Hunt, Contra, and more. Unfortunately an 8-bit version of Fortnite only exists in concept, but the video shows that a spin-off of the game could potentially work in some capacity.

  • Fortnite release another teaser for Fortnitemares 2018 – Dexerto

Fortnite release another teaser for Fortnitemares 2018 A second teaser in as many days has been released by Epic Games for the upcoming, and very mysterious ‘Fortnitemares’ event in Fortnite Battle Royale. Previously an in-game event in the Save the World mode back in Halloween 2017, it looks like Fortnitemares is making its way to Battle Royale this year. However, with only two cryptic teasers released, fans are still unsure as to what exactly it will entail. Teaser one, released on October 20, showed an image of an as yet unreleased skin, wearing what appeared to be Calamity’s hat, along with a poem about your duo being either a friend or a ‘ghoul’ in disguise. The tease of a new skin makes it almost certain that new cosmetic items will be a part of whatever form Fortnitemares is to take in the battle royale mode, and the second teaser may be yet another. A poem is included along with an image of a rune trapped in chains, which some fans reckon could be a new pickaxe, or perhaps back bling. Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. #Fortnitemares pic.twitter.com/ocd2VR1d19— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 21, 2018 So the first teaser very specifically mentioned duos, while this time we get a mention of the storm, so perhaps, if it is a new game mode(s), then there will be a new storm effect too. Whatever it is, fans can expect it soon, as October is ramping up towards Halloween fast. We can probably expect a third teaser tomorrow too, which will hopefully start to put the pieces together. This second teaser also obviously relates to the floating islands and mysterious runes on the map, which was possibly building up to Fortnitemares this whole time.

  • Fortnite reignites Wolverine-meme trend to tease upcoming skin – Dexerto

Fortnite reignites Wolverine-meme trend to tease upcoming skin Epic Games/SFM_DRFortnite has brought back the iconic Wolverine meme to slyly tease its upcoming skin tied to one of the characters this season. Here’s what the meme is and a first look at the skin that’s coming to the game. Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season received its first significant update on September 4, adding two new mythic weapons and Doom quests to the game. Along with the patch content, data miners like HYPEX leaked skins from the game files, one of which is themed after Sabretooth and was seen in the season teaser. The skin, named Meowtooth, combines Marvel villain Sabretooth and Fortnite character Meowscles. The character is set to be released with the Item Shop reset on September 6, along with an emote and other cosmetic items. What blew fans away, however, was Epic’s use of the Wolverine meme trend, which is a classic reference to the X-Men animated series, to tease the new outfit on their X page. The illustration shows Peelverine’s hands above a portrait of Meowtooth, who is also supposed to be his biggest nemesis. Marvel fans recognized the image right away and expressed their excitement over the new character’s arrival in the comments section. One such fan said: “We will be together soon.” Another wrote: “I can’t wait, I literally can’t wait for it.” On the flipside, some users simply replied with hilarious GIFs and images, with one user demanding a Shawarma-themed Iron Man skin and others asking for the release date of another leaked skin, Black Cat. Epic has included a plethora of original concept Marvel skins with the current season’s Battle Pass, which is packed with heroes and villains. However, the season falls short of the charm of Chapter 2 Season 4, which featured comic-accurate skins in the Battle Pass. Nonetheless, three more updates are set to arrive this season, with LTMs returning as well as new mythic weaponry and more Marvel characters joining the game.

  • Fortnite Refund System Added Back To Battle Royale Store – How To Use Self-Service Returns for Skins and Items – Dexerto

Fortnite Refund System Added Back To Battle Royale Store – How To Use Self-Service Returns for Skins and Items Back by (very) popular demand, Epic Games has re-added the refund or ‘self-service return’ option to Fortnite Battle Royale, as part of the v.4.3.0 update of May 30th. The option was previously removed from the game on April 24th, after an “issue” was discovered – but players were desperate to have the feature back as soon as possible. Some thought that Epic Games was attempting to simply cash and avoid losing out on profits, but it became apparent that they did in fact intend to bring back the system when possible. More: Data Miners Leak New Unreleased Skins, Back Bling and Pickaxes Coming to Fortnite Battle Royale – The system is a little more difficult to use this time around however, so if you are looking to refund a skin on Fortnite, this guide will walk you through the process. The option is now found in the settings menu, on the final tab, named “Account and Content.” Be aware that you are only given 3 lifetime refunds, meaning once you have refunded three items the option will no longer be available to you. The system is intended to assist in instances where you accidentally purchase an item, rather than because you simply changed your mind – so don’t be frivolous with your refunds. In cases where you unintentionally purchase an item with V-Bucks, you have 3 lifetime return requests. Only items purchased within the last 30 days are eligible. Consumable items – such as the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Tiers, or Llamas – are not returnable. Many fans will overjoyed to see the system return after lots of requests, however as it only allows items purchased in the last 30 days to be returned, it will not cover everything you have purchased. You can view the full patch notes for V.4.3.0 right here, with information on the new shopping carts, mushrooms and more in Fortnite Battle Royale.

  • Fortnite regains Twitch success following explosive Chapter 3 launch – Dexerto

Fortnite regains Twitch success following explosive Chapter 3 launch The release of Fortnite Chapter 3 on December 4 has made it the biggest game on Twitch once again. After its decrease in viewership continuously month after month, Fortnite is now back at the top of Twitch as creators flock back to the game. The release of the long-awaited Fortnite Chapter 3 has many players returning to try out the new content which has led to the game’s influx in popularity on Twitch. Fortnite Chapter 3’s release even had streaming star Dr Disrespect contemplating playing, who’s previously been critical of the battle royale. During Fortnite’s peak in 2018, the battle royale was constantly at the top of Twitch and YouTube, but in 2020 the game slowly died in popularity as Warzone became the go-to. However, Chapter 3’s release has Fortnite right back at the top of Twitch, with the game’s average viewers up 147.5% in the last seven days according to livestreaming statistic site SullyGnome. So far, more than 24M hours have been streamed of Chapter 3, with more and more players returning daily to try out the brand new map. Currently, the most-watched streamer in the Fortnite category is SypherPK, who peaked at over 200,000 concurrent viewers during the end of Fortnite Chapter 2 event. Others like popular Spanish streamer TheGrefg are also at the top of the stats, with Grefg pulling in an average of 50,000 concurrent viewers every stream. It’s safe to say the release of Chapter 3 is one of the best things to happen to Fortnite in a while, but time will tell if the battle royale maintains the hype and stays at the top of Twitch.

  • Fortnite: Reddit user creates amazing ‘Homeless’ themed skin concept that would also benefit a great cause – Dexerto

Fortnite: Reddit user creates amazing ‘Homeless’ themed skin concept that would also benefit a great cause Reddit is a hub for thousands of concept designs for Fortnite Battle Royale, but one user’s creation has stood out and captured that attention of hundreds. Reddit user ‘DeaconCell‘ has come up with a concept for a set of cosmetic items in Fortnite that would be themed after a homeless man and his belongings. The item set would contain four individual cosmetics, including an outfit skin, a pickaxe, back-bling and a glider, the standard collection of items that usually come in a full set. The character outfit skin itself would be that of a homeless man, the pickaxe would be a sign that reads ‘Will Build 4 Food,’ the back-bling would be a garbage can, and the glider would be a taped together box with a clothesline hanging off the end. But perhaps the best part about this concept is not the design, but the fact that a portion of the revenue from the sales of any of the items in the set could go towards funding organizations and shelters that look after the homeless. “A hobo themed skin for people who want to pay to look poor,” the creator wrote. “Perhaps the revenue could go towards helping homeless shelters.” If an idea such as this was to be adopted by Epic Games and implemented into Fortnite, not only would it raise money for a good cause, but also open the doors to other similar charity ventures. From time to time, Epic could add cosmetic items into the Item Shop that would be related to issues or illnesses, and some of the revenue could be donated to related causes, not to mention raising considerable awareness. Read More: Popular Fortnite streamers and pro players react to Infinity Blade getting vaulted – ft. Ninja, CouRage, NICKMERCS, and more – Epic wouldn’t have to donate the entirety of the revenue, and it certainly wouldn’t even put a dent in the record-breaking profits they have been consistently generating over the past year. But what it would do is definitely garner the company high praise and establish them as a strong philanthropic presence, similar to how Call of Duty: Endowment provides grants to charities that prepare veterans to compete for high-quality jobs.

  • Fortnite: Reddit user demonstrates how to win wall replace battle every time – Dexerto

Fortnite: Reddit user demonstrates how to win wall replace battle every time Epic GamesMaking the most of winning close quarters fights using consistent and meaningful builds is one of the main factors in Fortnite to securing a Victory Royale. Wall replace battles are high-pressured, tense situations in which a single mistake or mistimed build could mean exposing oneself to a killshot. YouTuber ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez’ put together a video to demonstrate the minute changes anyone can make to their game to overcome critical wall-replace battles that could be the difference to winning engagements. It doesn’t matter how high a build is, if the enemy is one wall away. During wall replace battles, players will oftentimes pickaxe the wall to set up their own wall in order to get the valuable ‘edit’ function to the build. ImSpeedyGonzalez says that a common mistake he sees players make is “wall replacing by holding down fire/place build [which adds] a 0.15-second delay” to your build. Read more: Fortnite Season 7: The third teaser image has been revealed and it looks like zip lines and planes have been confirmed Instead, he suggests spam clicking your build to avoid the 0.15-second delay and build at a much higher rate of 0.05 seconds. The workaround to the delay is functional playing with a controller or mouse, but if playing with a mouse, he has another layer to the strategy. Manually bind your ‘place build’ to the Scroll Wheel Down key and keep scrolling down while tearing down a wall. This is to ensure that the time between the wall coming down and setting up your own is reduced as much as possible. Fortnite is a multilayered game that can be as competitive as anyone is willing to take it. Practicing these mechanics are the best way of improving your game before the start of Fortnite’s Season 7 that begins December 6.

  • Fortnite: Can you recruit defeated Henchmen in Chapter 5 Season 4? – Dexerto

Fortnite: Can you recruit defeated Henchmen in Chapter 5 Season 4? Epic Games/DexertoWondering if you can recruit Doom henchmen in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 and complete a story quest? Here’s everything you need to know. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 features Marvel-themed gameplay, a Battle Pass loaded with iconic superheroes and villains, and new weaponry, all of which make Battle Royale matches even more thrilling. Along with that, there are three new POIs on the map, each of which contains three bosses guarded by Doom Henchmen. Once killed, these bosses drop mythic weapons and medallions, which provide players with unique skills. However, when it comes to Henchmen, players are wondering if they can recruit them to complete a story quest. If you’re among these curious players, we have the answer. Can you recruit defeated Henchman in Fortnite? Unfortunately, you cannot recruit a defeated Henchman in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. To those unaware, this feature was patched after the game allowed players to recruit henchmen or “Give them a second chance” before the August 24 hotfix. Previously, players had to knock down a henchman by attacking them and then revive them like they would an ally. The sudden removal of this feature sparked speculation among players, some of whom believed the Doom Guards might later refuse to work for Doctor Doom, instead becoming allies for players. However, since players are not able to recruit defeated Henchmen anymore, they’ll have to hire NPCs instead across the island to complete Part 2 of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Story Quests. If you’re looking for more quests to complete in the game, check out how to find Gwenpool, all Champions Road challenges, and all the new Ranked quests.

  • Fortnite Red vs Blue Prime Bottles sell for over $163k in eBay auction – Dexerto

Fortnite Red vs Blue Prime Bottles sell for over $163k in eBay auction eBay UKOne of the winners of Prime Hydration’s Fortnite Red vs. Blue competition has since put up their winnings for sale, with the bidding price reaching absurd numbers on an eBay listing. Back in January, Logan Paul and KSI teamed up with Prime Hydration to create an official map in Fortnite. In the map, players would drop into a Red vs. Blue format, where they’d use turrets to mow down the competition, while towering versions of the well-known personas watched over the madness. Players at the top of the leaderboards would win official Prime merch, limited items that wouldn’t be sold in stores. One of the winners has since come forward and listed their rewards on eBay UK. The listing for the bundle said: “These were won from the Fortnite X PRIME event / Tournament over 100,000 were beat in order to win these bottles from PRIME themselves!” For the sum of £131,700.00, or $163,775.54 USD equivalent, one lucky bidder netted themselves the rewards from the challenge, which included an official Prime bag and the Red vs. Blue Prime bottles, full and sealed. YouTuber Prime Creations, owner of arguably the biggest Prime collection in the world, claimed ownership of the listing. Rather shockingly, or not-so-shockingly if you’re well-versed in the Prime Hydration madness, the set earned over 202 bids, with one lucky winner nabbing the coveted bundle for what works out to around $54,600 bucks a bottle. Considering an average bottle of Prime goes for around $2.50-$3.00, these bottles were sold at around 20000 times the price of the average bottle on a shelf. This isn’t the first time a huge bounty has been put up for Prime Hydration. Late in 2023, fans of the energy drink could line up and try to crack the code for a solid gold Prime bottle worth around $500k.

  • Fortnite leak reveals two map locations Reality Bloom will change next – Dexerto

Fortnite leak reveals two map locations Reality Bloom will change next Epic GamesA Fortnite leak has revealed the two Points of Interest that will next receive significant changes because of the Reality Bloom effect. The advent of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 in early June introduced the Reality Tree, a Zero Point-powered location capable of altering reality. As the Reality Tree’s influence continues to spread via its root system, players have noticed a series of changes across the Season 3 map. Notably, these changes occasionally result in classic POIs cropping back up. Players who jumped into the experience after Fortnite Update 21.10, for example, noticed that Logjam Lumberyard sometimes featured the Lazy Lagoon pirate ship from Chapter 1 Season 8. The community refers to this phenomenon as the “Reality Bloom effect.” And it seems the changes won’t stop anytime soon. Fortnite’s Reality Bloom to alter two more locales Fortnite content creators Koooooomar and CodeVengeful (via HYPEX) found evidence suggesting the Reality Tree’s influence will next claim the Sleepy Sound and Condo Canyon locales. As such, classic POIs such as Tilted Town, Neo Tilted, Coliseum, Coral Castle, and Lazy Lagoon will soon hit the two aforementioned map locations. When players can expect these reality shifts to take effect presently remains a mystery. The next 2 POIs that will get the Reality Bloom effect are: – Sleepy Sound: Tilted Town, Neo Tilted, Coliseum & Coral Castle (via @koooooomar) – Condo Canyon: Tilted Town, Lazy Links, Coliseum & Coral Castle (via @CodeVengeful) pic.twitter.com/Cvp8tISdvk— HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 29, 2022 The Reality Bloom phenomenon doesn’t count as the only addition to Fortnite’s recently released third season. For one, Epic Games unleashed another major crossover event just last week. The crossover in question, Naruto Rivals, brought a second wave of Naruto skins to the game – Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata Hyuga. Star Wars-centric content in the form of a Darth Vader boss recently entered the mix as well, allowing users who defeat the Sith Lord to claim his mythic Lightsaber.

Some skins are much more coveted than others, however, and we’ve got a breakdown of the 15 rarest right now. Rarest Fortnite skin As of August 2024, the rarest skin in Fortnite is tied between the Aerial Assault Trooper and the Renegade Raider. Having made their last (and only) appearances during the first-ever season of Fortnite, these are two skins that only the most dedicated, long-term players are likely to own. Top 15 rarest skins in 2024 From the Royale Bomber to Double Helix and beyond — here are the top 15 rarest skins you’re unlikely to see throughout your matches in Fortnite. 1. Aerial Assault Trooper / Renegade Raider The Aerial Assault Trooper and Renegade Raider are the rarest skins in Fortnite. Both predated the iconic Battle Pass and were only available to purchase from the item shop in Chapter 1 Season 1. Both skins cost 1,200 V-Bucks, with players having to reach Level 15 and 20 respectively to buy them. If you’re wearing either skin during a match, it’s clear to other players that you’re an OG looper in the game. 2. Reflex The Reflex outfit could be obtained by redeeming a code for the GeForce Fortnite Bundle by purchasing an eligible NVIDIA GeForce graphics card around December 2018. However, the skin was accidentally released in the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks in March 2019 and has since only appeared again twice. With the accidental release, Epic issued an apology in the form of a free Stealth Reflex outfit which was released as part of the NVIDIA bundle in the following season. However, only those who had received Reflex by redeeming a code got the free skin. 3. Rogue Agent Released in Chapter 1 Season 3, Rogue Agent was part of the Rogue Agent Starter Pack that was released in 2018 in the Fortnite Item Shop for $4.99. The starter pack was in the Item Shop for 77 days in a row before it was never released again. It was also the only starter pack outfit in Chapter 1 that players could purchase for real-world money instead of V-Bucks. 4. Galaxy When Epic Games launched Fortnite for mobile, players with Samsung Galaxy devices were the first to be invited to test it out. This partnership continued for a while, with quite a few exclusive cosmetics tied to new Samsung products – but none have been more in demand than the epic Galaxy skin. This elusive skin was only available for players who purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, but it was later replaced by the Glow skin in 2019 and there’s no way to get it anymore. 5. World Warrior First released back in 2019 during the first Fortnite World Cup, the extremely rare World Warrior skin has now been completely absent from the item store since July 2019. Since this was the only time that a Fortnite World Cup ever happened, the World Warrior skin did not return to the item shop, even during the recent FNCS tournaments. Apart from this, the Fishstick skin also received a World Cup selectable style which is quite common and is seen more often in the Item Shop. Now players can only hope it returns to the shop in the future like they’re manifesting for yet another Fortnite World Cup. 6. Black Knight Black Knight was only available for players who maxed out Fortnite’s first-ever Battle Pass in Chapter 1 Season 2. This meant players had to not only purchase the Battle Pass but also reach Level 70, so the number of people who own this skin is ultimately very small. That requirement might not be as high as the modern Battle Passes, which have 100 levels of cosmetics to work through, but this was back in 2017 when the player base was much smaller. 7. Double Helix Double Helix was another skin that Fortnite fans could only get by purchasing an expensive device. This one was included with a limited-edition Nintendo Switch x Fortnite bundle, which also gave players a DLC code for matching cosmetics and 1,000 V-Bucks. Aside from the high cost of purchasing the console, this Nintendo Switch x Fortnite bundle isn’t actually available to purchase from most retailers anymore, so if you do want it you’ll have to strike it lucky and find one available from a third-party seller – and it certainly won’t come cheap if you do. 8. Honor Guard If you want to get your hands on the Honor Guard skin, there’s some bad news, as it’s only available for those who purchase the Honor View 20 smartphone, making it one of the most expensive skins in Fortnite history. It’s still available to get, but the incredibly high entry cost coupled with the fact that many people are loyal to their favorite brands like Apple and Samsung means the Honor Guard is automatically one of the rarest skins in Fortnite. Besides, we’ve never seen it in a Battle Royale match… have you? 9. Royale Bomber Another skin you’re unlikely to see in Fortnite is the Royale Bomber. The skin was first available to get as part of a PlayStation 4 x Fortnite bundle back in 2018, and later as part of a DualShock 4 controller bundle. It’s still available to find if you look hard enough, but it definitely won’t come cheap, and arguably isn’t worth it anyway as it’s not a very interesting skin when compared to the best skins that Fortnite has on offer in 2024. 10. The Reaper OG players will definitely remember The Reaper, who was the reward for maxing out the Chapter 1 Season 3 Battle Pass at Level 100. The skin has been a running joke in the Fortnite community, as it was quite clearly based on Keanu Reeves’ character John Wick. Then things got strange when, in 2019, Epic Games introduced an official John Wick skin to Fortnite. This means there are two almost identical skins in the game, but while the John Wick skin has returned to the Item Shop on multiple occasions and is quite common, The Reaper remains very rare. 11. Eon The Eon Skin was first available only as part of a promotional bundle for the Xbox One S console, and it came with a digital code that allowed users to redeem the skin and accompanying cosmetics in Fortnite. The bundle was a limited-time deal, which added to its desirability and rarity within the Fortnite community. The Eon bundle was made available exclusively to Xbox One S owners as of September 27, 2018. The bundle which costs $249.99 and includes an Eon skin, the Xbox console, 2000 V-Bucks, a glider, and a pickaxe, is among the most expensive in the Fortnite community. Ever since then, Xbox has stopped running the promotion and scalpers are selling the skin codes online for over $1,000 each. 12. Shaman Shaman is a skin originally released in Season 8 as part of the Moonbone Set. The skin has since appeared in 5 item shops although it hasn’t been seen in the battle royale shop since December 2019. If you see any Shaman’s running around the island you’ll know those players have been invested in Fortnite for a good while. 13. Cole Cole was first made available in May 2019. It’s only been in 3 Item Shops since its release with the last being in December 2019. While it only cost 800 V-Bucks to get hold of Cole when he was available, he’s definitely one of the rarer skins in the game these days. 14. Trench Raider Trench Raider is a Rare skin that was first released in Chapter 2 Season 1. It was released as part of the Fathoms Deep Set and was available in the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks. The skin made another appearance in January 2020 but has only been available to purchase twice in the battle royale. 15. Travis Scott Travis Scott’s skin is the rarest Icon Series outfit to ever appear in Fortnite. The outfit was first released in 2020 ahead of the artist’s Astronomical in-game event in Chapter 2 Season 2. While the event is one of the most played live events in Fortnite history, the popularity and rarity of the artist’s cosmetic skin remains the same. Only to be seen in six Item Shop rotations, Travis Scott has not returned to the in-game shop since April 2020. Some speculate this is due to the tragedy that occurred at one of Travis’ concerts which forced Epic’s hand to not release the skin again despite the players’ demands. Those are the rarest skins in Fortnite! For more on the game, check out how to level up fast, where to find NPC characters, how to play split screen, and whether there are any free V-Bucks codes.

With the arrival of Chapter 4 Season OG, Fortnite has witnessed an influx of players with its player base peaking at an all-time high this year since the player count was tracked publicly in-game from April. The latest update brings the classic map back, taking everyone back to the time when everything started rolling for the Battle Royale game. Fortnite reaches new player peak since April with the OG map release TDAWG, a content creator for Boston Breach, posted on X showing the current player count at a massive 2.5 million and rising. This shows how much players are loving the new Season OG update leaving some wondering whether the Double Pump meta is back with the new update. According to Fortnite.gg, 5,100,000 are supposedly playing the game right now, at the time of writing, boasting a previous 24-hour peak of 3,913,817 players! This is good news for both Epic Games and players all over the world as this update will urge a lot of old players to make a comeback to Fortnite. However, these numbers will drop with time as the hype of Season OG is still fresh at present.

  • Where to find rare chests for Fortnite’s Doom Battle Pass quest – Dexerto

Where to find rare chests for Fortnite’s Doom Battle Pass quest Epic GamesOne of Fortnite Chapter 5’s Doctor Doom quests requires players to open five rare chests for Battle Pass rewards. On September 4, Epic Games rolled out a Doom-themed Battle Pass filled with 12 different rewards for players to earn. These include two Doomblade pickaxes, new wraps, a pair of Doom skins, and more. To secure every prize available, users must first complete a series of quests, some of which have proven much simpler than others. One objective on the second page of Doom quests tasks players with opening five rare chests. The problem is that these specific chests are not always easy to stumble upon. Rare chest locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 It is worth noting that rare chests are those adorned in a shiny blue design. But unlike the regular gold-colored chests, these loot-filled boxes spawn randomly around the map, meaning no one can ever predict where they will pop up. For Chapter 5 Season 4, rare chests may spawn in areas such as Doomstadt, Castle Doom, and The Raft. These can be tough to get, though, since dozens upon dozens of players usually flock to these locations as soon as a match begins. The best bet is to wait for a Weapons Bunker to open, as these spots are guaranteed to include at least two rare chests. There are nine bunker locations around the map where players can head to. Unfortunately, not every bunker is open in every match since some stay locked randomly. However, players receive alerts on the map whenever they are about to open nearby. Fortnite players have until Saturday, November 2 to complete all 12 Doom quests, which should be plenty of time to encounter five rare chests. Those still grinding through the Doom Battle Pass may also want to check out how to survive fire damage and read a breakdown on unlocking the Doctor Doom skins.

  • Fortnite raptor locations: How to tame dinosaurs & where to find them – Dexerto

Fortnite raptor locations: How to tame dinosaurs & where to find them Epic Games / @JayKeyFNA brand new wild animal has arrived in Fortnite Season 6: Raptors! Here’s where to find the prehistoric dinosaurs, and how to tame them when you do. When Season 6 of Epic Games‘ hit battle royale Fortnite debuted in March 2021, one of the most exciting additions was without a doubt the ability to tame wild animals including wolves, boars, chickens, and even frogs. Epic promised that more wild animals would arrive as the season progressed, and many players suspected the slowly-hatching eggs that appeared around The Island hinted at the arrival of dinosaurs, matching the season’s Primal theme. Well, those rumors have now been confirmed, as raptors have arrived in Fortnite as part of the recent v16.20 patch update. Here’s everything you need to know about finding and taming these dangerous prehistoric creatures. Where to find raptors in Fortnite Like all other wild animals, raptors won’t always spawn in the same place. This means you’ll need to search around The Island, but there will be an element of luck, as other players will be looking for them too. It does seem as though raptors are spawning near their hatched eggs in Fortnite, though, which makes sense. We’ve seen them at Stealthy Stronghold and west of Misty Meadows, so you could try checking there. Raptors will emit a screech to call their fellow dinosaurs when they spot you, so come prepared with weapons. #Fortnite Raptor Information 🦖 – The Raptors seem to spawn around the hatched egg location – They are tamable with a Huntercloak or Meat but unfortunately you can not ride them – When the Raptors spot you the will make a screech sound too call the others to attack pic.twitter.com/PIqgFsbxdz — Jaykey 👑 (@JayKeyFN) March 30, 2021 How to tame raptors in Fortnite All wild animals in Fortnite can be eliminated for resources including animal bones and meat, or they can be tamed to aid you in your fight. Chickens can help you fly, for example, while wolves will fight alongside you in battle. Raptors are no doubt the most dangerous wild animals on The Island at the moment, and players will be eager to know if they can tame them. Fortunately, that’s a very real possibility, and it’s not too difficult once you know how. Here’s how to tame raptors in Fortnite Season 6: Eliminate a wild animal and pick up the meat they leave behind. – Find a raptor near their hatched eggs. They’ll often hunt in packs, so be prepared. – Throw the meat down near it and hide. – Once the raptor is distracted by the meat, approach it quickly. – Hold down the command button to ‘tame’ the raptor. – Another method is to use a Hunter’s Cloak. You’ll need to craft this using meat and bones attained from eliminating a few wild animals, so it’s not the quickest method, but you can find out how to do that here. That’s everything you need to know about raptors in Fortnite. Whether Epic Games will add more wild animals in the future remains to be seen, but if they do, you can be sure we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, check out our complete guide to finding and taming wild animals in Fortnite for information on adding the likes of wolves and boars to your team.

  • Where to eliminate Raptor, Zenith, and Blackheart in Fortnite Season 6 – Dexerto

Where to eliminate Raptor, Zenith, and Blackheart in Fortnite Season 6 Epic GamesA new set of weekly challenges has arrived in Fortnite Season 6, and players are tasked with eliminating Raptor, Zenith, or Blackheart. Here’s where to find them. As expected, weekly challenges have returned in Fortnite Season 6, offering players one of the best ways to earn huge amounts of XP and level up their Battle Pass to unlock the likes of Lara Croft and Rebirth Raven. With the recently added Chromium, Runic, and Golden enlightened skin styles, there’s now even more reason to focus on levelling up the Battle Pass. One of the Week 3 challenges requires players to find and eliminate one of three NPCs scattered across The Island, and we’ve got a handy map so you can easily find them all. How to eliminate Raptor, Zenith, or Blackheart Unlike most NPCs in the game who will sell you weapons or offer bounties, Raptor, Zenith, and Blackheart aren’t quite as friendly, so you’ll need to exercise some caution when completing this challenge. All three of these characters will begin shooting at you as soon as they spot you, even if you’re still gliding down to The Island. We’d recommend landing nearby and stocking up on shields and weapons before attempting to eliminate them. Read More: How to tame raptors in Fortnite – Remember that other players will be trying to complete these weekly challenges too, so there is some sense of urgency here. If an opponent takes your chosen NPC out before you do, you’ll need to enter a new match and try again. Raptor location in Fortnite Season 6 We’d recommend avoiding Raptor in this challenge. He’s pretty much out in the open with a real lack of cover, and there aren’t many places to find weapons nearby. Still, if you definitely want to eliminate him, you can find him on the island with the crashed plane just east of Coral Castle. He’s marked on the Fortnite Season 6 map above. Zenith location in Fortnite Season 6 Zenith is arguably the best choice of NPC to eliminate in this challenge. He’s the hardest to find out of the three characters, and he’s located up in the mountains, so you’ll likely find fewer opponents here. There are also plenty of options to stock up on weapons and shields with the nearby mountain camps. Blackheart location in Fortnite Season 6 Blackheart can be found at the Viking Vessel building just west of Holly Hedges in Fortnite Season 6. Probably the easiest way of tackling this NPC is to land at the nearby Holly Hedges, quickly gather some weapons and max out your shield, and then make your way to the Viking Vessel to take him out. Read More: How to level up fast in Fortnite Season 6 – You’ll only need to eliminate one of the above NPCs to complete this challenge, so it shouldn’t take you too long. Do it at the very beginning of a match before your opponents sneak in and take them out instead. If you’re looking for more XP to level up your Battle Pass, we’ve got a complete guide to the Fortnite weekly challenges right here.

  • Fortnite Ranked mode explained: Release date, ranks, rewards & more – Dexerto

Fortnite Ranked mode explained: Release date, ranks, rewards & more Epic GamesA new Fortnite Ranked mode has been announced by Epic Games, so here’s everything we know about the mode so far including a release date, the format of ranks, and the rewards you can earn. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is packed with new features that have altered the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes significantly. This season added new items, quests, and gameplay mechanics that significantly improved the overall experience. But Epic Games aren’t finished yet, as they’re now implementing a new Ranked Play mode, which will replace the current Arena game mode and create a level playing field for competitive and recreational players alike in the game’s Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. You can see all the details we know about Fortnite’s new Ranked mode below. Contents When does Fortnite Ranked mode come out? – How does Ranked mode work in Fortnite? – What will the Ranks be in Fortnite’s Ranked mode? – Rewards offered to Ranked mode players – When does Fortnite Ranked mode come out? Fortnite’s Ranked mode will be released alongside the v24.40 content update, which is expected to drop on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Players will then have the ability to toggle the Ranking Up option ‘On’ or ‘Off’ in the switch game mode menu after the new mode has been implemented. This will be an optional feature. Ranked Play will feature matchmaking for Solos, Duos, and Squads in the conventional Battle Royale mode, but only matchmaking for Duos in the Zero Build games, which will each have different ranks. This implies that Trios is ineligible for both of the game types, which has been a significant mode in the matchmaking process for the FNCS as well as other cash cups. How does Ranked mode work in Fortnite? When Ranked launches in version 24.40, it will officially begin Season Zero. Season Zero continues until the conclusion of Chapter 4 Season 3. The results of your previous matches and your initial Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build matches will determine your starting position for Season Zero. In both Battle Royale and Zero Build, your rank will be disclosed after just one Ranked match. While in the Lobby, if you toggle the “Ranked” setting to “On,” your current rank will appear on the left side of the screen. Additionally, a bar will show how far you are from reaching the next level or regressing to the previous one. There are a few variables that will determine how far the progress bar moves after a match: Your match placement – How many eliminations you or your team got in the match Eliminations later in the match will count more than eliminations earlier in the match. – The ranks of the players you or your team eliminated will be taken into account. – – When determining a team’s final standing and advancement after a match, all players on that team will be counted as a single entity. The highest-ranked member of your squad will be used to determine your team’s overall standing. If a team has both Gold I and Silver I players, they will still matchmake as a Gold I team and play against other Gold I and Silver I teams. Ranked Play in Fortnite is open to all skill levels. In order to properly adapt new players, Epic requires players who have never logged into Fortnite to complete a particular Quest (Outlast 500 opponents) before they may unlock the Ranked option. What will the Ranks be in Fortnite’s Ranked mode? Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite, Champion, and Unreal will make up the ranks. Each tier from Bronze to Diamond will have three tiers, while Elite, Champion, and Unreal will each have only one. Start at the bottom with Bronze and work your way up to Silver and finally Gold. Repeat this process in Gold, Platinum, and Diamond to unlock the Elite level in the game. You’ll need to prove your mettle against the best after you reach Elite, then Champion, and beyond that, Unreal. As soon as you hit Unreal, that’s where you’ll stay for the duration of that season’s rankings. Once you’ve made it to Unreal, you’ll be assigned a number that indicates your worldwide ranking among other Unreal players. The Unreal leaderboard will be the place where you can check your place in Battle Royale and/or Zero Build. The Epic display name and Unreal position of each player will be displayed on this frequently updated leaderboard. Rewards offered to Ranked mode players In a Ranked match, you will receive a Ranked Urgent Quest after you exit the Battle Bus. You can get seasonal cosmetic rewards for completing Ranked Urgent Quests. Each match has a new Ranked Urgent Quest, and your progress on these quests will reset when you switch games. The Burn Bright Emote is Season Zero’s final reward. When this Emote is activated, the player’s current rank is shown in a colored bar (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.) which is perfect for showing off how far you’ve risen through the ranks. • Fortnite finally made huge Ranked change players have demanded for years – Dexerto

Fortnite finally made huge Ranked change players have demanded for years Epic GamesFortnite players believe the removal of vehicles and Mythic Nitro cars from Ranked Mode marks a “step in the right direction.” The launch of Fortnite’s July 4 hotfix coincided with its new All Sweat Summer event, which will last until Thursday, July 18. Patch notes for these changes revealed that, during these 14 days, Epic will disable vehicles and vehicle items from Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. This also applies to Mythic Nitro Cars owned by in-game boss characters. Players who enjoy diving into the more competitive Ranked offerings consider the removal of modded cars a boon. One person in the Fortnite subreddit argued the update “might make ranked a lot more skill-based and fun…” Ranked and casual players alike have spent weeks slamming the addition of modded cars for being they overpowered and disrupting Fortnite’s gameplay flow. The consensus among Ranked players in the Reddit thread agrees that removing vehicles is the right move. And players hope the changes will stick around even after the summer event concludes. One user pleased with the news wrote, “About time we see separate loot pools. So stoked to play.” Another player added their two cents by saying, “100% ranked deserves to be a separate experience without the gimmicks and everyone can co-exist…” Meanwhile, some think the two-week removal of cars constitutes a test, one that will hopefully end with Fortnite’s Ranked and casual modes permanently featuring separate loot pools. This line of thinking isn’t exclusive to Fortnite’s community on Reddit. Twitter/X users have similarly applauded the update. In response to HYPEX’s post about the news, one fan stated, “So ranked is now like tourneys as it should have been from the get-go.” Fortnite news page FNChiefAko added, “At last, they’re splitting Loot Pools. If they keep this next season, we could actually have a chance at enjoying it.”

  • Leaked Fortnite racing mode compared to Mario Kart with new drifting mechanic – Dexerto

Leaked Fortnite racing mode compared to Mario Kart with new drifting mechanic Epic Games, NintendoInsiders have shared new information about Fortnite’s leaked racing mode, which will reportedly feature mechanics similar to Mario Kart. Leaks about Fortnite’s unannounced racing LTM began surfacing several weeks ago, with early details teasing jump/boost abilities and maps set on the ground and in the clouds. More recent rumors hinted at a host of features for the LTM, including a Death Race mode, 12 casual maps, time trials, and a unique Battle Pass offering. While Epic Games remains mum on the matter, another batch of details have hit the web. Apparently, Fortnite players are in for a Mario Kart-style treat whenever the mode actually goes live. Fortnite racing mode leaks tease drifting mechanics and more Twitter user NotJulesDev counts as one leaker who’s sat at the center of Fortnite’s racing LTM leaks. The latest info from NotJulesDev claims environmental effects like ice and mud will impact car handling. Vehicles will also receive a brand-new drifting mechanic that activates “turbo boost,” the leaker said. Similar to Mario Kart, players who start driving before the race begins will earn a “headstart boost.” Based on what they know, so far, NotJulesDev posits that “Epic is aiming for chaotic racing rather than something like Gran Turismo.” HYPEX summarised the leak’s key points in the following Twitter post: Reportedly, Epic is fueling Fortnite’s racing mode with a bit of Rocket League DNA, too. The thread from NotJulesDev additionally claims players will be able to perform air tricks, not unlike the vehicle-based soccer game. Plus, the title’s classic Octane ride will appear as a playable option in the mode. Responses to both posts suggest longtime Fortnite fans cannot wait to get their hands on the limited-time mode. When the crew at Epic Games will finally lift the veil on its plans is anyone’s guess, though.

  • Fortnite Ranked Arena Mode coming in V8.20 update – Dexerto

Fortnite Ranked Arena Mode coming in V8.20 update Epic GamesEpic Games have announced that a brand new Arena mode will be added to Fortnite in the upcoming V8.20 patch – seemingly ushering in the start of ranked play in the battle royale title. The game developer announced their roadmap for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup on March 25, revealing more details on how players can get themselves qualified for the event with a mega $30,000,00 prize pool. However, fans also spotted another detail – the announcement of a ranked mode – which is one addition that players, both casual and professional, have been craving for some time. In the post, Epic revealed that the Arena Mode would be added to the game in the upcoming V8.20 game patch. The unreleased addition, which would not be a limited time mode, will allow players to try and qualify for the ‘Champion League’ – the highest attainable level. By climbing to the top, players will have proved themselves worthy enough for a chance at qualifying for the Fortnite World Cup via Online Open events that will run on weekends. Epic also announced the dates on which the World Cup event will get underway. Players won’t have to wait too long, though, as the first two-day portion of the lengthy will begin on April 13. This will be the first time those who qualified for the Online Open events will be able to try their hand at securing a qualifying spot for their respective region in the World Cup. A ranked playlist has been in the works for some time, as Epic’s State of Development V4 post back in February of 2018 revealed that they were working on creating a better balance of skill throughout matchmaking. Events, similar to a ranking system, have been trialed in-game since that post with the ‘Share the Love’ series that begun towards the end of Season 7 including placement matches and divisional rankings for players. There have been other attempts since, with both the Scallywag Cup and Blackheart Cup being hosted during Season 8, giving players the chance to win a stake of the $100,000 prize pool. So, there you have it. Ranked mode is on its way to Fortnite Battle Royale. It’s unclear just how the ranking systems will work, but we don’t have too much longer to wait in order to find out.

  • Fortnite quickly fixes tornadoes and lightning storms as they were impossible to find – Dexerto

Fortnite quickly fixes tornadoes and lightning storms as they were impossible to find Epic GamesFortnite tornadoes and lightning were added as part of the game’s Chapter 3 update, but it seems Epic has already released a hotfix for these new weather conditions. Epic is constantly updating Fortnite with new weapons and POIs, but the game’s latest tornado and lightning weather effect is already receiving some changes. These extreme elements may look rather imposing, but they can actually give players huge advantages. Tornadoes can be a great way for you to quickly preposition on the map, while the speed boost from lightning can help quicken your movements. However, it appears Epic isn’t happy with the way these extreme weather conditions are currently performing in Fortnite Chapter 3. Make sure you check out how both tornadoes and lightning will be changed ahead of their upcoming hotfix. Fortnite tornado and lightning hotfix Renowned Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, has discovered that a new hotfix will be making changes to the tornado and lightning weather conditions, meaning players should be able to encounter both of these environmental effects more often. This should make them a little more impactful and reward those who wish to utlize their movement-enhancing capabilities. • Pump Shotgun finally unvaulted again in Fortnite Season 6 – Dexerto

Pump Shotgun finally unvaulted again in Fortnite Season 6 Epic GamesPump Shotguns are finally back in full force across Fortnite as Epic’s Season 6 update unvaulted the classic weapons for a third time. Pump Shotguns have had a long history in Fortnite but they’re finally returning in Season 6. As one of the most popular weapons in battle royale history, they’ve come and gone over the years as Epic has looked to shake up the meta. The iconic shotgun variant was introduced all the way back in 2017 and quickly became one of the most highly sought-after weapons in the game. Despite its highs and lows over the years, it’s long been a fan favorite in Fortnite’s arsenal. After a few months out of action, players can finally get their hands on Pump Shotguns once again, according to early Season 6 leaks. Pump Shotguns back in Fortnite Season 6 While Epic teased potential new weapons in the March 16 update, early hints pointed towards a Save The World Shotgun joining the battle royale. However, that’s not the only type of shotgun being added into the mix. “Pump Shotguns return tonight,” prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX revealed. Previously vaulted at the beginning of Season 5 in December 2020, Pumps are back after three and half months. No specific details were provided beyond that, however. There’s no telling if the weapon has received any key buffs or nerfs while sitting on the shelf. Nor do we know the exact rarities for the gun this time around. In previous instances, the Pump Shotgun has been available from Common through to Legendary rarity. It’s a safe assumption that the latest version of the popular weapon will follow suit. Having been in and out of the vault three times already, there’s also no telling how long Pump Shotguns will be around for once again. With that in mind, expect to see tons of players opting to run this powerful weapon throughout Season 6. From new NPCs to map changes, there’s plenty more in store too; be sure to brush up on all the early Season 6 intel before you drop in.

  • Fortnite leak suggests Pump Shotgun is returning, but not as players remember – Dexerto

Fortnite leak suggests Pump Shotgun is returning, but not as players remember Epic GamesFortnite’s Pump Shotgun is reportedly returning to action, though it’ll have a new name and capabilities that may seem unfamiliar to longtime players. Epic Games added Pump Shotguns to the roster of weapons during the battle royale’s first chapter. To the dismay of players, however, this particular Fortnite gun has been vaulted for a long time. Many had their fingers crossed that Chapter 4 Season 1 would herald the Pump Shotgun’s eagerly-awaited resurgence. Evidently, such a move simply wasn’t in the cards for Seasons 1 and 2. It looks like fans may finally get their wish in the coming days, though. According to leaks, the Pump Shotgun will return to action very soon – but there’s a twist. Is the Pump Shotgun coming back to Fortnite? Leakers HYPEX and FNAssist claim that a Pump Shotgun has been added to the battle royale, though it won’t actually be released until Epic rolls out an unspecified future update. Interestingly, it will not arrive as the classic Pump Shotgun, instead bearing the name Sharp Tooth Shotgun. HYPEX claims the Sharp Tooth will boast a tighter spread, long-range capabilities, and about 160 Headshot Damage at Legendary Rarity. Information shared by FNAssist indicates it may actually output 196 damage at Legendary Rarity – all should be made clear soon enough. This may sound like a solid long-range weapon, but those who prefer close-quarters combat may still want to rely on Fortnite’s Havoc Pump Shotgun. While players wait on the supposedly revamped Pump Shotgun, Fortnite’s latest update added another new firearm to the loot pool. Update v25.11 introduced the Heavy Sniper Rifle’s replacement – Explosive Repater Rifle. As the name suggests, it fires explosive projectiles that should prove devastating for unsuspecting targets.

  • Fortnite’s Pump Shotgun rumored to return in Season 2 with new version – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Pump Shotgun rumored to return in Season 2 with new version Epic GamesAccording to a leaker, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will return the Pump Shotgun to action with a “new version” in tow. A classic weapon in the battle royale title, the Pump Shotgun received several adjustments throughout its storied history. Epic Games vaulted and unvaulted the powerful gun a few times, too, as longtime players will recall. The developer once more vaulted the shotgun in Chapter 3, forcing it to sit out the fight for quite a long time. However, it may not remain locked away for too much longer. According to a new leak, the fan-favorite weapon could resurface sooner rather than later. Pump Shotgun might return to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2 Twitter user HYPEX has relayed word from leaker iFireMonkey that the next seasonal update could reintroduce the Pump Shotgun. Instead of the standard weapon, players should look forward to a “new version,” as noted in the tweets linked below: What the latest iteration of the weapon could entail is anyone’s guess at the time of writing. And, of course, fans have already started making guesses of their own. Replies to the Twitter posts posit the “new version” will likely involve Fortnite’s Pump Shotgun returning as a nerfed iteration of its former self. “They are going to nerf it like the scar,” one person wrote in the thread. “‘With a new version,’ basically super nerfed,” another Twitter user said, their response accompanied by crying emojis. Epic Games has yet to confirm the Pump Shotgun’s supposed reinstatement. But it seems longtime players are already preparing themselves for the worst-case scenario. Firm details could go live sometime soon, given that Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 could arrive on March 9. Other rumored additions for Season 2 include Resident Evil skins for Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Leaks indicate Attack on Titan content is also in the works.

  • Fortnite PS5 issues give “massive disadvantage” compared to PC – Dexerto

Fortnite PS5 issues give “massive disadvantage” compared to PC GronKy / Epic GamesFortnite players on consoles have had enough of the rendering, FPS, and lighting issues found on PS5 compared to PC players, who they believe have a competitive advantage. The differences between console and PC players have often been a hot topic in the Fortnite community as it always has been with any competitive game. Cross-platform servers have long been in the Battle Royale and tweaked since they were first released to make it fair and balanced, but players aren’t convinced. Fortnite player Forward_Number293 kicked off the discussion: “It is extremely difficult to spot enemies on PS5.” They explained: “I absolutely beamed a PC player… I cracked his shield + hit him for 30ish white health and shockwaved halfway up the grassy hill to finish him off. Out of nowhere, bullets start coming through the grass and he melts me while I’m at full health and overshield. I couldn’t see him at all, but there was no tall grass on his screen, so I died.” “The foggy woods by Rebels Roost is another part of the map where console players are at a massive disadvantage. I watch PC streams and it is totally unfair how easily they can see people that console players just can’t.” Various players chimed in with similar experiences. “I’m a PC player who recently started playing on PS5 and it really is almost a different game. I didn’t realize how dark some areas could get with all the pretty lighting effects forced on,” one said. A player responded: “Yep I went from PC to PS5 cause my PC broke down and my skill level got cut in half once on controller.” Another added: “To see what many PC players see as opposed to what I see is so frustrating. Opponents just stand out on PC with low settings. It’s ridiculous.” Various PC players agreed with the claimed competitive advantages and echoed the view: “Ya… I kinda hate Fortnite for that. I’m a PC player, but I play with all my graphics turned all the way up. I know if I wanted to take my competitiveness to the next level, I’d have to turn the graphics down.” Others highlighted further issues that give PC players a claimed advantage in cross-platform matches. These included PC players having better FPS, spawning more cheaters, advanced settings options, higher performance hardware, and much more. In regards to the “tall grass” not rendering on PS5 in the OP’s post, console players are unable to change their Max View Distance. However, PC players can increase this in their settings to avoid not seeing small objects on the Island, such as trees, bushes, and grass. Despite the obvious option Fortnite players have to turn off cross-play in the settings, they agreed that this either considerably increases the wait time or “literally will just tell you it can’t find a match.”

  • Fortnite Provide Update Regarding Issues with Builder Pro and Hitching on XBOX – Dexerto

Fortnite Provide Update Regarding Issues with Builder Pro and Hitching on XBOX The immense popularity that Fortnite: Battle Royale has received in recent months has led it to become one of the most popular video games in recent history. A major reason for the game’s immense popularity is the effort and dedication from developer Epic Games to consistently improve, adjust, and add to the game to keep it fresh and fun. However, despite this high level of popularity and success, the game has some issues and glitches which can hinder the gaming experience for Fortnite’s vast player-base. While Epic have shown considerable effort in addressing these issues, it seems that as soon as one set of glitches get fixed, another batch pops up in their place. There are currently two major issues in Fortnite that have been addressed by developers from Epic Games on Reddit. The first involves hitching on the XBOX One, which involves a momentary lag freeze that can cause players to lose position and even get eliminated during the delay. The second issue has to do with button delays on the Builder Pro controller layout that was recently added to the game. This just goes to show that despite these issues, Epic Games continue to demonstrate how serious they take the Fortnite community and the importance of communicating with players to ensure that the game runs at a top level.

  • Fortnite Provides Update on Red Knight’s Missing Back Bling Shield – Dexerto

Fortnite Provides Update on Red Knight’s Missing Back Bling Shield Fortnite SkinsThere was great anticipation in Fortnite on July 5th, especially among those who collect in-game cosmetic items. Epic Games re-released the ‘Red Knight’ in Fortnite’s Item Shop, the first time the rare skin has been available for purchase since February 20th. However, players immediately noticed that something was terribly wrong with the skin when they went to buy it from the Item Shop. The Red Knight’s iconic Red Shield back bling was nowhere to be seen; originally the shield came as a free add-on with the skin when purchased. Epic Games was quick to calm the waters, as they announced that they were aware the back bling was missing and all those who purchased the outfit would receive the shield in due time. We’re aware that the Red Knight Outfit doesn’t have back bling. We’ll be granting her back bling to anyone who has purchased this Outfit in the near future. Sorry for the inconvenience! We’re aware that the Red Knight Outfit doesn’t have back bling. We’ll be granting her back bling to anyone who has purchased this Outfit in the near future. Sorry for the inconvenience! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) July 6, 2018 This update from Epic likely will have relaxed a lot of worrying players who had been keen on purchasing the Red Knight, many of whom may have been buying it more for the back bling than the outfit itself. Aside from the Black Shield that came with the Season 2 Battle Pass exclusive Black Knight character, the Red Shield has often been considered to be among the more popular back blings in the game.

  • Fortnite Proves the Loot Box System Wrong as it Smashes PUBG on Mobile – Dexerto

Fortnite Proves the Loot Box System Wrong as it Smashes PUBG on Mobile The launch of Fortnite Battle Royale on mobile has proven two things – that it is the most popular game in the world, and also that the loot box system is no longer king. Loot boxes, supply drops, cases, packs or whatever you call them, have become a common feature of almost every game released in the past four or five years. But they are far from popular with players, who have to spend their hard-earned cash in hopes of getting a better or more valuable item, and of course it’s all a game of chance. These tensions came to boiling point recently with the backlash against EA’s Battlefront II – which had a particularly forceful loot box system – leading to some countries in Europe even making loot boxes illegal. However, the success of Fortnite on mobile, in direct comparison to its chief competitor, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), proves that there is a better way for both developers and players. Recent data from SensorTower shows just how badly PUBG has taken the loss in the battle for mobile, with Fortnite beating it on revenue by 5:1 on iOS (the only devices Fortnite is available). Fortnite is smashing PUBG’s revenue on iOS Devices Both games are free to play on mobile, and PUBG is actually available on Android and iOS while Fortnite is limited to the latter. Essentially, Fortnite has a much smaller player base on mobile than PUBG, but are making a LOT more revenue. “By the time PUBG Mobile began monetizing a week ago on the App Store, it had already been installed by approximately 22 million iOS players outside China. By comparison, Fortnite had only 3.7 million downloads during its first seven days and was only accessible to a smaller portion of those during its invite-only launch event, so it was earning substantially more revenue on a significantly smaller player base.” So, how can Fortnite be making more money with such a limited player base? SensorTower explains that PUBG’s use of the loot box system is simply not as incentivizing for players, compared to Fortnite’s daily items model. “[Fortnite] offers limited-time costumes and set daily items that players can purchase outright, as opposed PUBG Mobile’s primary use of loot boxes that produce random (and often duplicate) items when opened by players. Fortnite also offers a Battle Pass for the equivalent of $10 that rewards players with additional items as they complete challenges and level up during each of the game’s seasons.” So, let this be a lesson to game developers – ditch the loot box system in favor of straight purchases, but limited time items. Players prefer it, and devs make more money, win-win. Source: SensorTower

  • Fortnite pros voice frustrations about the Infinity Blade during the NA Winter Royale Finals – Dexerto

Fortnite pros voice frustrations about the Infinity Blade during the NA Winter Royale Finals Epic Games is always trying to keep Fortnite fresh with the inclusion of new items and game modes, but it looks like one of their newer additions isn’t sitting well with the competitive community. The v7.01 update was released on December 11 and included the powerful Infinity Blade sword that has been the topic of much conversation in the hours since release. The sword acts similar to how Thanos’ glove did during the popular LTM that was released back in May, giving players 200 health and 200 shield, regenerating health and allowing them to do massive amounts of damage. The difference here, however, is that the Infinity Blade is available in normal game modes, with just one being available in every game. Epic has been known to adjust after receiving community feedback, so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see some adjustments. With the second and final day of the Winter Royale taking place in just a day on December 12, though, it’s not likely that a change will come before the Finals.

Fortnite pros voice frustrations over the game’s direction in Season 7 Epic GamesWhile Fortnite fans have indulged in the madness that the battle royale has produced since its launch, the game has seen a string of controversial additions – which are starting to take a toll on its pro players. Epic Games like to keep their game fresh by adding new and inventive weapons or items that mix up the formula to varying degrees. However, many of these changes can sometimes prove to be too drastic, which throws off the balance of power in the game. Pro players have taken to Twitter to express their continual frustration with the state of the game, as Season 7 seems to be plagued with more and more ill-fated decisions. Fortnite has added many controversial elements since the start of its new season on December 6, such as the X-4 Stormwing plane, Boomboxes that ravaged anything in their midst, a now-vaulted Infinity Blade that was too overpowered (yet still made an appearance in the Winter Royale), and much more. Counter Logic Gaming’s Sam ‘WishYouLuckk’ Salcedo and many others berated the game’s current form and its notable deteriorating competitive feel. “Never had less fun in Fortnite in my life thank in Season 7,” WishYouLuckk said in a deleted tweet. “Every single patch the game gets worse. lmao. Fortnite pros threaten to boycott Secret Skirmish over forced equipment rule A number of top Fortnite pros are considering pulling out of this week’s Secret Skirmish event after complaints regarding the rules that force players to use certain equipment. The Fortnite Secret Skirmish takes place on February 14 and 15, and the $500,000 esports event, hosted by Epic Games, will be used to prepare the broadcast teams for the Fortnite World Cup, which takes place later this year. While a number of major Twitch stars are expected to compete at the tournament, it appears that two of the biggest names in Fortnite esports are trying to get out of competing. Team Liquid member Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo told his stream on his Saturday, February 9 broadcast that he didn’t want to attend the Secret Skirmish, saying: “I don’t want to go to the Secret Skirmish at all. I don’t want to go play the current meta in solo matches, it’s not fun.” Chap then explained why he was unhappy at the prospect of attending the tournament, blaming the tournament’s format and the fact that he would be forced to use unfamiliar peripherals. • Fortnite pros Tfue, Mongraal and more back mitr0 amid contract drama – Dexerto

Fortnite pros Tfue, Mongraal and more back mitr0 amid contract drama The competitive Fortnite community has come together in support of professional player Dmitri ‘Mitr0’ Van de Vrie over rumored issues with his organization, Team Atlantis. Mitr0 is one of the best known European pros, hailing from the Netherlands and competing alongside FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson at the Fortnite World Cup, where the duo finished 6th. When Mongraal joined FaZe in July, rumors immediately began that mitr0 could follow him there, as the pair had become an inseparable duo in-game, but nothing came of the move. On September 16, countless pro players and community members began Tweeting with the hashtag ‘FreeMitr0’ – leading fans to believe that he was stuck in a contractual bind. Among those tweeting in support was ex-FaZe star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who famously left the organization over what he alleged was an “oppressive” contract in a lawsuit against the owners. Others included mitr0’s trio partners Mongraal and NRG pro Benjy ‘benjyfishy’ Fish. Although initially unclear, speculation about the reason for the hashtag was cleared up by YouTuber ‘TheFortniteGuy’ and Twitch streamer THump, who both allege that mitr0 is stuck in an unfavorable contract with Team Atlantis. THump claims that “Atlantis is grossly underpaying mitr0 I’m pretty sure and won’t renegotiate him or release him,” while TheFortniteGuy reports that the Dutch player has been “trapped” in a lengthy deal with “terrible benefits”. We are releasing a statement about @mitr0’s situation soon. Please, stop sending threats to our players or employees. — Team Atlantis (@Team_Atlantis) September 17, 2019 Contracts in esports, especially for young players who quickly gain prominence can be tricky for both the player and the organization, who likely signed when they were less known. With a popular Fortnite star now a hot commodity for any esports organization, mitr0’s value as a brand himself has likely risen significantly since first joining Atlantis, which can cause disputes based on his original contract. This was the situation with Tfue, whose popularity grew exponentially after joining FaZe, and he soon outgrew the value given to him on his initial contract, although the organization claims it made repeated attempts to have a new contract agreed upon. Mitr0 has not yet spoken out on the situation.

It helped that he put up one of the best scores in the region, 32 points for 28th place. I’m actually most proud of the fact that I didn’t tilt at all today. Even with all the 2nd places. Tfue only managed 24 points, four points shy of a qualifying position, and was controversially eliminated by a cheater. Cloak did not participate in the event at all due to a scheduling conflict. TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, who wanted to enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers on Saturday instead of qualifying, also placed outside of the top 200. • Fortnite pros and streamers slam changes to eliminations and health in update v8.20 – Dexerto

Fortnite pros and streamers slam changes to eliminations and health in update v8.20 Epic Games have come under heavy criticism for adding some crazy features to Fortnite, but after the community lauded their decision to increase health after every elimination, Jack ‘CouRage‘ Dunlop, TSM’s Daequan Loco, Brett ‘Dakotaz‘ Hoffman and other high profile players can’t believe they’ve only gone and reversed the move. Many people expected the v8.20 update to be a standard, run-of-the-mill patch to make some general fixes and add the new Poison Trap item that’s been advertised in the Fortnite Item Shop since March 25. However, little did anyone know that Epic were going to completely reverse some of the changes made in public matches to not only health replenishments after kills, but also material farming, the material cap and more – sparking some stern opposition from pro players and streamers. The v7.40 patch, which many regarded as the best update in Season 7, introduced a feature whereby players would have their health or shield increased by 50 for every elimination they recorded, but the developer is now saying that it resulted in an “unhealthy level of aggressive play” in the game’s Battle Royale mode. That’s not all, though. The v8.20 update also lowered the amount of materials that drop when a player is eliminated, removed the 500 cap on mats and reversed the 40% increase in harvest rates. Clearly, a lot of high profile players are confused by the changes, with the likes of Brett ‘Dakotaz‘ Hoffman, Jack ‘CouRage‘ Dunlop, and others posting messages of bemusement on their Twitter accounts on March 27. With all of the negative feedback from pro players already out there for Epic to take a look at, it’s unknown if the developer would execute another U-turn and return these features in the future. For now, players will just have to adapt.

Fortnite pros slam World Cup qualifying event – Poach, NICKMERCS, Cloak and more Twitter: Poach/Epic Games/Twitter: NICKMERCSA number of professional Fortnite players have spoken out about the current state of the game’s World Cup qualifying events, including its point scoring system and material cap. What is the Fortnite World Cup? The Fortnite World Cup event, which starts on April 13, is meant to be a huge crowning point for the Battle Royale’s competitive scene. There is an absolutely staggering $30 million prize pool on offer, with a huge chunk of change going to the eventual winners. Players, both casual and professional, are still trying their best to qualify for the event even if they disagree with how points are scored. How are points scored? Currently, players are rewarded with one point per kill – seemingly encouraging action in games. Points can also be scored for game placements and wins, but some pros aren’t happy with Epic Games’ current system. Team Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve, who is never one to shy away from voicing his opinion, stated: “Kills need to be valued, however, placement needs to have more value or double. Based on the time given for 10 games it’s smarter to not play out full games and W-key everyone, these games don’t even feel like they are high level and yet these decide who is going to the world cup.” Kills need to be valued however placement needs to have more value or double. Please increase the 500/500/500 Mat cap @FortniteGame — Creator code:fazecloak (@cloakzy) April 7, 2019 Luminosity Gaming’s Sypher ‘SypherPK’ Ali focused his attention on Epic allowing the controversial Baller vehicle to remain in the competitive games despite the fact that it is set to receive a nerf following the qualifiers. Why are we playing our 3rd online tournament with hamster balls when we know they’re supposed to be severely nerfed next week? Why can’t Epic disable them until the nerf? no competitive integrity at all. — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) April 7, 2019 Will Epic make changes? It remains to be seen if Epic will make changes to the qualifying events, be it altering the scoring, lifting the cap on materials or making an earlier than planned change to the Baller vehicles. However, at this stage, it is unlikely that any sort of changes are considering there is less than a week until the World Cup kicks off and the focus is likely switched to making sure that the major event goes off without too many issues.

Fortnite pros defend FaZe Bizzle after fans criticize FNCS performance FaZe Clan / Twitter: C9 AveryTimothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller has been getting lots of hate lately for his underwhelming FNCS performances with Clix and Bugha, but some pros have rushed to his side to defend him from hate. Bizzle hasn’t had the best of runs lately. During the FNCS Season 6 Qualifier earlier in May, he made a crucial mistake that caused him to unexpectedly die in an early fight despite having ample materials and meds, which he didn’t use. Twitter exploded, and people hurled thousands of insults towards the veteran. They criticized his “poor awareness” and called him everything from a “liability” to “washed up,” and even went as far as urging him to retire. The hate became so immense that “Bizzle” even trended on Twitter. He responded to the comments, saying “all this hate is insane” and that he “threw one game today and all this sh*t happened.” He went on to imply that the “true intention” of the team who killed him was to pursue an off-spawn fight to “grief” them, which they have allegedly done. Read More: Ninja is done playing Fortnite competitively – He also knocked back calls for his retirement, saying, “I’m not f**king leaving.” Other professional players like Rocco ‘TrainH Saf’ Morales rushed to his defense, but it didn’t stop the malicious comments from pouring in. But when it rains, it pours. Bizzle had another slip-up in a competitive match, and this time, he got caught out of position and was shot and killed from behind. However, the weird thing about it was that he seemed to think it was coming from the front and failed to react, leaving casters and spectators stunned. Again, people on social media slammed him for having “poor awareness” and insisted he would definitely get “dropped” from the team after that. However, this time, C9 Avery defended him, saying, “I don’t get why Bizzle is still getting flamed without people feeling bad. It’s just getting weird. “Imagine just launching Twitter and having kids from all regions just slander you. Literally impossible to play.” https://twitter.com/Avery_FN/status/1396240827043692547?s=20 Either way, it didn’t seem to bother Bizzle. Instead, he responded to the incident by saying “GGs” and comically urged fans to follow him while he was trending in the hopes that he would hit 700,000 followers. So, despite the blunders and haters, it seems like he’s nonchalant about it and still has his head in the game.

  • Fortnite pros Myth and Tfue share why console players are hard to play with – Dexerto

Fortnite pros Myth and Tfue share why console players are hard to play with Myth / Epic Games / TfueTop Fortnite players have developed and honed their own ways to dominate in the battle royale, but some pros believe that console players may have a bit too much of a leg up in the game. Fortnite is available on virtually any gaming platform, including mobile phones, and to compensate for the game’s fast-paced action on some devices, aim assist is featured on many iterations of the game. Fortnite pros TSM Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani and FaZe Clan Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney gave some tamed opinions of the game’s aim assist feature and how it can heavily influence the competition. After Tfue said that aim assist can help console players aim better, Myth suggested that the phrase is taboo for those players as it would discredit the community’s aiming prowess. “No no no, Tfue, you can’t use the words ‘it helps’ dude. That’s a big no-word from the console community because that would make us (sic) seem like they are godly aimers,” Myth said. The lobby of players agreed that aiming on console is definitely difficult without the precision that a mouse could give, but the feature could give console players an overly generous amount of help in engagements. “Alright, it’s safe to say that when it comes to playing Fortnite, in close to mid-range combat, mobile players have the best aim, then console players, then PC players,” Tfue said. The backlash comes from the relatively easy mechanic of spamming the aim assist function to get a continuously correct aim at certain distances. The streamers were careful to mince words as the topic of discussion is prone to volatile flame from the community, but the discussion is a legitimate point of concern when tournaments allow PC players and console players to compete with one another.

However, the post doesn’t lay out any of the Discord messages the author claims to have seen, leaving us just with the Twitter threads. Epic’s response Epic Games employees responded to the thread by asking players to refer to the blog post about competitive payments, and to email them if there are any issues. What they didn’t do is address the claims directly at this point, so it remains unclear as to what’s going on as we have just the words of the players to go by.

Fortnite pros and streamers unhappy with new Boom Box item – Ninja, Dakotaz and more *UPDATED* After only being added to the game for a matter of hours, the new ‘Boom Box’ item in Fortnite Battle Royale is getting some negative feedback, particularly from the competitive community. With the WSOE $100,000 Fortnite tournament taking place on December 30, the same day as the new item was added, and there are concerns that it will too drastically change gameplay. The Boom Box is a throwable item which absolutely obliterates any nearby builds, making it an extremely powerful tool considering how fundamental building is to the core mechanics. Soon after it was added on December 30 in the v7.10 Content Update #2, players instantly realized just how destructive the Boom Box could be. Top Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins commented that competitive players might be having an interesting experience while practicing, to say the least. Professional players, such as CLG’s WishYaLuckk, were unhappy to see that such a game changing, or even game “breaking” item was added the same day as the $100,000 tournament. Shortly after, Epic issues an apology and removed the item from all playlists. Although the Boom Box is not perhaps as game breaking as the Infinity Blade, it certainly poses a problem for late game ‘build-offs’, where structures are key to victory.

  • Fortnite pros aren’t happy about the game-altering connection issues some players face – Dexerto

Fortnite pros aren’t happy about the game-altering connection issues some players face Fortnite players on the west coast of the United States have been having an increasingly tough time playing the game and one pro has demonstrated exactly why. With Fortnite’s servers being housed on the east coast, players on the opposite side of the country frequently deal with high ping, making it hard to execute certain technical maneuvers. Building, one of the most important aspects of Fortnite, is heavily affected by the connection issue, as evidenced in a short video Fortnite pro ‘psalm.’ In the video, two players are facing each other and using the turbo building function to try and outbuild their opponent who is shooting them with an SMG. The player who resides on the east coast is able to successfully turbo build and prevent taking any damage whatsoever. The west coast player, however, is nowhere near as successful. The disparity in ping is something that players have been dealing with for quite some time and it doesn’t seem like it’s going away anytime soon. As 100 Thieves pro ‘Kenith’ pointed out in a reply to the video, an Epic Games employee recently stated that “80ms ping is perfectly playable, even competitive,” to which many players heavily disagree. Fortnite pros and streamers react to BRUTE mech suits Fortnite Season X has finally arrived with a host of changes that haven’t been well received by popular streamers and professional players, particularly the new B.R.U.T.E Mech suits. The destruction of the mysterious orb at Loot Lake has made drastic changes to the Fortnite landscape, with iconic locations such as Dusty Depot making a return to the map as well as the ‘OG’ factories. As well as some new locations, Epic Games have added a new two-person vehicle that looks set to wreak havoc on the map. The BRUTE mech suit has both a shotgun and missile launcher to use against your enemies – something which has left pro players and streamers less than impressed. Team Liquid star Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo expressed his frustration at Epic Games for adding another item – similar to the Infinity Blade – that would give select players a distinct advantage over others. After a sarcastic tweet stating how “awesome” the patch notes are, Chap pleaded with the developer to remove the new mech suits out of arena mode already. He said: “Wait. Get these mechs out of arena. What the fuck are you smoking Epic?” While, at the time of writing, it’s still active in the competitive battle royale game mode, it has since been removed from Creative and Playground playlists. Popular Twitch streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman couldn’t believe what he was witnessing after watching the cinematic trailer for the first time. “What?! What the hell bro? We’re all dead!” he said in disbelief while watching the new vehicle smash through a house in Salty Springs. Team SoloMid’s Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno was much more blunt with his opinions on the game’s latest major update, though, as he suggested developers have once again ‘screwed up’ the meta. Hope everyone arguing with me over this are enjoying season 10 :joyful: https://t.co/7ifqdclNDn — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) August 1, 2019 Whether or not calls for the new vehicle to be removed from The Arena will be answered by Epic Games any time soon remains to be seen. Season 10 might have marked the long-awaited end of The Baller’s time in Fortnite, which has finally been sent to the vault after sustained criticisms from the competitive community, but these new mech suits appear to be the next big thing players are taking issue with.

Fortnite Pro WishYouLuck is Tired of Slander After a Player is Accused of Cheating in Summer Skirmish A relative unknown has won the second edition of Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish and some other pros are throwing around accusations of cheating. WishYouLuck, a friend of the winner, is tired of hearing the accusations and took to Twitter to defend the victory. The Summer Skirmish had a new format for week two with solo players playing 10 games in public servers and adding up their kill totals. iDropz_Bodies won the event with 184 kills in 10 games, beating out established pros by a wide margin. The Fortnite community immediately questioned the legitimacy of the win, due to iDropz_Bodies playing on console and not being visible on Fortnite’s official stream. He also called for the removal of players from Epic’s tournaments if they continue to not accept the results. The Fortnite Summer Skirmish series is off to a rocky start, with the first edition of the tournament being cancelled due to performance issues with Epic’s private servers. The second week was moved to public servers and an all new format, though this has led to the accusations of cheating. Fortnite has not commented on the accusations at this time.

Fortnite pro Yung Calc apologizes for insensitive Chadwick Boseman Tweet BuiltByGamers / WikimediaProfessional Fortnite player and streamer, Jonathon ‘Yung Calculator’ Weber, has apologized after he sent out an “insensitive” Tweet following the unexpected death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman. Yung Calc is a North American pro player, who rose to acclaim in the competitive Fortnite scene at only 14 years old, as one of the top young players. However, he has been caught up controversy on a number of occasions, most notably when he was kicked out of a tournament for allegedly mocking deaf Fortnite player Ewok, which he denied. And he has been forced to respond to backlash once again, after he Tweeted: “So no Black Panther 2 wtf?” only hours after news of Boseman’s passing from cancer became public. The Tweet was quickly deleted, but not before it had been screenshotted and shared by FaZe Fortnite player, Josue ‘Sway’ Burgos, with the caption “cringe.” Yung Calc responded, “I literally replied to this tweet and said it’s so sad he died, it was an in the moment thing because I was shocked.” https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1299538532986478594 But this response only drew more ire on social media, prompting Weber to make a full apology. “I deleted the tweet instantly after people told me it was insensitive cause I really didn’t mean it in that way or realize it was insensitive,” he said. “I am sorry for not thinking about the tweet more but it’s not like I meant actual harm.” https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1299540329050365953 In a follow-up Tweet, he says it was not an attempt at a joke or trying to be funny, and that it was misinterpreted. “I’m an idiot for it and I made a mistake, I truly didn’t mean any harm towards him or the family.” https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1299543181814624256 Some fans were happy to see Weber admit his mistake and take ownership, while others labeled his apology meaningless. Although not the most famous of Fortnite pros, he boasts 230,000 followers on Twitch, and is signed to esports brand, Built By Gamers. He qualified for the Fortnite World Cup duos event in 2019, finishing 16th with his partner MackWood.

  • Fortnite Pro Vivid Hits Back at TFUE After Losing in a Scrim – Dexerto

Fortnite Pro Vivid Hits Back at TFUE After Losing in a Scrim Fortnite – Epic Games, TFUE – TwitterFaZe’s TFUE and Fortnite Pro Vivid met in one of Fortnite’s unranked scrims, and things got a bit ugly between the two post-match. Upon winning the scrim, massively popular streamer and pro gamer TFUE made some harsh remarks toward Vivid’s performance. In a four-team lobby, Vivid went against TFUE in an unranked scrimmage. Vivid ultimately lost to TFUE’s team, taken out by a player with only 3 HP left. However, Vivid assured viewers that he wasn’t taking the game seriously in response to the chat’s exasperation. “It’s just a game, man. It’s a four-team lobby. If I wanted him dead, I would have just fazed through with a drum gun and killed him… he had 3 HP left, which means he deserved to die. I shot twenty bullets at him and I was flying in the air.” TFUE’s team win was a soaring success in his eyes. On his own stream, TFUE popped off in an R-rated celebration, making some untoward comments in regards to his opponent. “Oh, he’s like, ‘Oh, he’s so weak, I got this! Suck my peen, dog! Get outta here, dude!” Vivd’s response was measured, and he went on to say that he supports the Fortnite community in spite of the ill-treatment. “I can’t even have fun in a fucking scrim game anymore without getting shit-talked. It’s bad. I stand by the Fortnite community so much, and shit like this happens. Why would I care about a random-ass scrim with five people in it? I mean hey, if he wants to sweat and talk shit because he killed me today, his ego must need a little boost or something.” This interaction echoes the tensions in competitive Fortnite. With $100 million on the line for the game in the 2018-2019 season, the pressure is on – and things could get even more intense in the future.

  • Fortnite pro Wavyjacob banned mid-tournament for in-game name – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Wavyjacob banned mid-tournament for in-game name Twitter: wavyjacob1In the middle of a tournament, Fortnite pro player Jacob ‘wavyjacob’ Ghaith has been banned for an in-game name that made him look like a hacker. If there’s one thing that any gamer hates, it’s hackers and bots. Often easily identified by their in-game names, which are normally a random string of letters and numbers, both devs and players alike are continually seeking to crack down on rule breakers. For Fortnite FNCS pro wavyjacob, the ban hammer appears to have hit him by accident, as he was banned mid-tournament over an issue with his in-game name. After a series of tweets venting his frustrations, some of Fortnite’s most famous faces have rallied behind him and get him unbanned. Fortnite pro wavyjacob banned Midway through an ongoing tournament, the FNCS pro received a shock ban for ‘exploiting.’ Hit with a 6 month ban (182 days), the player is not only out of the tournament, but out of action entirely. Writing “just got banned mid tourney?” and attaching a screenshot of the ban, he seems pretty baffled by the whole situation. In response, a lot of users have commented on the fact that his name looked like either a bot or hacker’s randomly generated name. Playing under the guise of ‘r23ln1664W4v7,’ it appears that Fornite’s punishment algorithm has assumed that he’s breaking the rules. As well, fans have speculated that he could have been banned due to a rule within the Epic Games code of conduct, which notes that all names must appear family-friendly to their audience. While he notes that he understand the ban itself, it’s the lengthy time spell that has irritated him. “Yeah I know, but they could have put user-3978939 bulls**t or reduce the ban.” Concluding “181 days because of the name but you got people who cheat and get banned for 2 months,” it seems that the situation is far from over. yea ik, but they coulda put user-3978939 bs or reduce the ban like cmon 181 days bc of the name but you got people who cheat and get banned for 2 months lmao — wavyjacob (@wavyjacob1) June 25, 2021 This was followed up by a standalone tweet, promoting the hashtag “freewavy.” 6 month ban for a name but people cheat and get banned for 1 month #freewavy — wavyjacob (@wavyjacob1) June 25, 2021 A recent comment on Reddit claims that the ban has now been reduced to 2 weeks instead of the controversial 6 months. Fortnite pros rally In response to wavyjacob’s unfortunate ban, a whole collection of Fortnite’s most famous faces have rallied in his defense. • Fortnite Pro Vivid Explains Why He Chose Team Liquid Over TSM – Dexerto

Fortnite Pro Vivid Explains Why He Chose Team Liquid Over TSM As one of the top talents in competitive Fortnite, Noah “Vivid” Wright had no shortage of options when it came to joining a team, and has explained why he chose Liquid over Team SoloMid (TSM). After successive high placings in the weekly Summer Skirmish events, Vivid was quickly spotted as one of the best players around, and it was only a matter of time until he joined an organization. But with a never ending list of top esports teams recruiting for Fortnite teams, where he would end up was unclear. On August 29, he was announced as part of the Team Liquid lineup. Fortnite’s Cube Is Burning Strange Runes Into the Ground He joins the likes of Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan, Jake “Poach” Brumleve, Ryan “Chap” Chaplo and Adam “Strafesh0t” Crawford. His decision came as a surprise to some though, as it had been rumored that he had been offered a spot with TSM. Vivid explained his reasoning on stream however, because he knows he will be asked a lot. “To be honest it was just natural chemistry, that was the biggest part. There was a couple of other things that I talked with [TSM’s] Myth about, so he knows kind of like a small thing that happened, but, for the most part it was just natural chemistry with Chap, Poach and Tom. If you guys watched my interview with MonsterDFace, I emphasised team chemistry and me being comfortable, a lot. And yeh, they’re just all really cool guys.” Vivid will be playing alongside Poach, 72hrs and Chap as part of the Team Liquid roster for the foreseeable future, taking part in solo and duo events under the org’s banner. TSM also have a strong lineup of both competitive players and streamers, including Myth, Daequan, Hamlinz, CaMiLLz, AimbotCalvin, HighDistortion and more. You can watch Vivid’s full interview on the Dexerto podcast with MonsterDFace and TwoLoudTX below.

  • Fortnite pro Tfue left shocked at evolving hackers after dying to a glitched Quadcrasher – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Tfue left shocked at evolving hackers after dying to a glitched Quadcrasher The hackers in Fortnite Battle Royale have evolved and pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney got to experience the result of their evolution firsthand. The FaZe Clan star was playing the new ‘Limited Testing Event’ in Fortnite with his teammate Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore when the pair came across an enemy player in Frosty Flights. While most would put their money on Tfue and Cloak being able to easily handle the situation, the opposing player turned out to be a cheater who had no problems hacking his way to eliminating both pro players. After they were both eliminated, Tfue stayed in to spectate the hacker, who could be glitching his way around the area with a Quadcrasher. Seeing this left Tfue stunned as he realized just how much more advanced the hackers had become in using their technology to gain an advantage in Fortnite. “Yo they’ve adapted bro!” he yelled out. “What the fuck bro. Yo, I’m fucking pissed man. The cheaters in this game have gotten way too fucking much!” He then went on to break down exactly how far the Fortnite hackers have come: “At first it was stage one aimbot, to where you can kill them because all they could was lock on, they weren’t hitscan. Then they started getting hitscan…” And on and on. There’s no hiding the fact that hacking remains a huge problem in Fortnite, as in every battle royale game on PC, and it’s hard to see what more Epic Games could do to prevent something like this from spreading. Despite their best efforts, cheaters continue to exist, and as the clip above shows, they’re getting more and more advanced on the fly.

  • Fortnite pro Tfue shows how to easily fly across the map using Pirate Cannons and Volcano Vents – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Tfue shows how to easily fly across the map using Pirate Cannons and Volcano Vents The arrival of Season 8 in Fortnite Battle Royale has introduced a variety of new content, such as the Pirate Cannons and Volcano Vents, which can be used together to powerful effect. Found throughout the Fortnite map, Pirate Cannons are part vehicle part weapon, allowing players to shoot cannonballs or themselves across long distances. Volcano Vents, which are concentrated in the area around the new volcano, are holes in the ground which expel hot air with force strong enough to propel vehicles and players who cross over them high into the air. Since the start of Season 8, players have figured out at there is a very powerful way to use Pirate Cannons and Volcano Vents in combination with each other, allowing for easy and fast travel across the map. Executing the trick is simple – first, you must find a Pirate Cannon and wheel it over a Volcano Vent, which will result in both you and the cannon being sprung high into the air. At this point, the nose of the cannon must be tilted slightly down and fired in the direction opposite of where you want to travel, which will push you and the cannon higher and towards the right direction. After the cannon reloads, the process can be repeated until you crash back down or have arrived at your destination. A demonstration of how to do all this can be seen below, courtesy of Fortnite superstar Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. As Tfue also shows above, if you are still not where you need to be on the map once you’ve landed from your Pirate Cannon flight, you still have the option of launching yourself from the cannon one more time to cover some more ground. At the end of the day, a combination of the pushes from the Volcano Vent, cannonball fire, and self-launch should be enough to get you pretty much anywhere you want on the map. This method, for obvious reasons, provides a huge and powerful advantage to anyone who can execute it correctly, as it offers a very effective way to cover long distances in a short period of time. Its uses include but are not limited to: escaping from nearby enemies, getting into the next safe zone, and rotating efficiently during a scrim match

  • Fortnite pro TFue gives major help with keybinds and tips for beginner players – Dexerto

Fortnite pro TFue gives major help with keybinds and tips for beginner players TfueFortnite uses various keybinds for the many mechanics or items at a player’s disposal, but the sheer number of inputs can be off-putting for PC players so one pro gave his binds to help newcomers to the game. When Epic Games released their battle royale title, they combined a shooting and building game into one. Although some players have taken the game in stride and figured out the optimal keybinds for them, while others might be struggling with default settings with no way to improve. In a tweet, FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney thought it would help Fortnite beginners if he shared some of the keybinds that could make navigating around the game’s mechanics much more efficiently. If you don’t have mouse side bottoms then buy a mouse with some :triumph: — Tfue (@TTfue) February 1, 2019 For starters, Tfue suggested Fortnite players who don’t have a mouse with buttons on the side, should probably start by picking one up. Even if its two buttons on the side with a clickable mouse wheel, the extra inputs just a thumb movement away can really help out in fast-paced battles. Tfue’s suggested inputs are as follows: Stairs on Q, Wall on Mouse 4, Floor on F, Roof on Mouse 5, Edit on E, Interact on V, and Crouch on C. Depending on your palm’s position, this could make the majority of important keyboard inputs accessible without much movement from a player’s resting ASDW placement. Important mat placements like the Wall and Roof lay perfectly tucked near the thumb if needed in a moment’s notice. The thread is invaluable for any beginning player, as many more pros have chimed in with their preferred bindings for those who are just getting into the world of Fortnite.

  • Fortnite pro shows what the Dynamite is capable of and he isn’t happy about it – Dexerto

Fortnite pro shows what the Dynamite is capable of and he isn’t happy about it November 20’s v6.30 Content Update marked the release of Fortnite’s all-new ‘Dynamite’ explosive item, but it was disabled shortly after release due to client crashes. However, some players got the chance to try it out before the developers were forced to disable it, which means that we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what it will be capable of when it returns. One of those players was Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo, and the professional star wasted no time in showing just how powerful it will be against building and structures! “One layer here, one here, put one down here,” Chap said as he all three of his Dynamite sticks in one of Tilted Towers’ buildings. “Oh nice, I blew up all of Tilted Towers!” The stack of Dynamite was enough to completely wreck the building, and Chap clearly wasn’t happy to see it in the game, saying: “Can someone link me the clip for that so I can post that on Twitter real fast please?” When the clip did make its way to Twitter, the Liquid star’s only comment was: “R.I.P building 2017-2018.” With Dynamite dealing out a staggering 800 damage per explosion to structures, and coming in stacks of three, it’s easy to see why Chap is concerned about the impact it will have on the game. Originally announced on November 19 via the in-game news section, Dynamite allows players to light a fuse and then stand back to watch everything around them explode. A client crashing issue meant that it was removed after being live for less than an hour, but it is expected to be enabled again as soon as the developers have found a fix. It will be interesting to see whether Chap’s initial concerns prove to be correct or whether players will find a way of easily countering the latest addition to the game.

  • Fortnite pro SypherPK calls out Creative 2.0 “thief” for stealing his map – Dexerto

Fortnite pro SypherPK calls out Creative 2.0 “thief” for stealing his map Epic Games / SypherPKRenowned Fortnite content creator SypherPK has called out a Creative 2.0 mapmaker for stealing his concepts from an existing map and publishing it as his own in an attempt to make a profit. The YouTuber published a video in which he went off on the “thief” and explained the situation. Since its introduction, Fortnite’s Creative mode has significantly evolved. With Creative 2.0, Epic Games introduced a multitude of new features, tools, and enhancements that let players bring their ideas to life in unimaginable ways. Players can now utilize Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and other software to bring additional assets and construct realistic experiences within the game’s metaverse. Moreover, with the most recent Creator Economy, Epic pays mapmakers real money based on the number of player visits their creative island receives each month. Numerous creators, including SquatingDog, SypherPK, and others, have already jumped on the bandwagon and produced breathtaking maps their followers adore. However, in a recent incident, SypherPK referred to a mapmaker as a “thief” for stealing his published map and recreating a copy to capitalize on player count. The Fortnite pro explained the situation in a YouTube video titled “I was stolen from” in which he went off on the map creator. Fortnite pro SypherPK calls out Creative 2.0 “thief” for stealing SypherPK began his latest YouTube video by discussing how spammers have been drawn to Epic’s new Creator Economy in order to clone maps in hopes of attracting more players and making money. He continued by saying that he and his team devised a plan to create a Creative 2.0 game based on the well-known Red vs. Blue maps. The content creator further noted that his popular Supercity UEFN map inspired him to include a superhero feature. The situation arose after the YouTuber released a map called Heroes Red vs. Blue, in which he combined modified icons and the current Supercity map’s coding to add abilities. As a result, this map was immediately replicated by another mapmaker called “boykaaro” overnight who has viral Red vs. Blue maps to his name. Unfortunately, boykaaro also exploited the original map’s graphics and weapons to their full extent, but was unable to use the map’s abilities owing to the special coding Sypher and his team had implemented. To quote Sypher, “he f**ked up” right here. To add insult to injury, the duplicated map eventually received more visitors than Sypher’s original map. As such, the YouTuber asked that his viewers instead visit his map and help remove the replicated one from Discover, as he had previously asked Epic to take it down as well. In a show of support, one fan commented, “The respect I have for Sypher is through the roof the guy who stole this needs to come clean and apologize.” Another one chimed in, “You know sypher is serious when he is willing to get demonetized for swearing. In all seriousness, this is totally messed up.” Players can check out Sypher’s Heroes Red vs. Blue map by entering the island code (3325-7439-3745) on their Discover Tab in-game or by saving it to their playlist from the official UEFN page on the Fortnite website.

Now, Saf and other pros will be looking for a new home. TrainHard Esports shuts down Announced on June 28 via Twitter, the French organization that previously fielded rosters in Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege would be halting operations immediately, which left a lot of questions as to why this decision was made. In a statement, TrainHard Esports noted the following: “It’s painful but we have to announce that TrainHard is closing its doors today. After many years in esports and unforgettable moments, it’s time for us to let go mostly because of economical reasons. Before we leave, we would like to thank everyone that helped us build TrainH with their own skills. Staff, players and you, our true fans. Thank you for everything and good luck in this world, which is beautiful and rough at the same time.” With the closure of the organization, multiple players across North America and Europe were now free agents, and their Rainbow Six Seige roster was set to play a match just a few hours later against Na’Vi. • Fortnite pro SerpentAU apologizes after “macros” cheating allegations – Dexerto

Fortnite pro SerpentAU apologizes after “macros” cheating allegations Epic Games / SerpentAUFortnite YouTuber and pro player ‘SerpentAU’ has now apologized after being accused, by fellow content creator ‘EJLad’, of using ‘macros’ to cheat in the battle royale. SerpentAU is one of the most popular players from the OCE region and has over 500,000 subscribers on his channel for uploading videos of his insanely fast building skills in Fortnite. However, it seems as if he has had some help with his quick editing after he was accused of using “macros” to increase his editing and movement speed in Fortnite by YouTuber EJLad. Macros are used to set up different key-bind shortcuts, enabling Fortnite players to perform multiple actions at once by pressing a specific key. EJLad highlighted SerpentAU’s in-game settings during his exposing video, revealing that he had two distinct key binds for editing buildings and accused him of “cheating.” Overtime Gaming, the esports organization that SerpentAU had been signed under, also dropped the Australian star once the allegations started to surface. SerpentAU initially tried to explain away the accusations but Fortnite stars such as Tfue, who was recently accused of using macros by Zayt, even weighed in claiming that his initial explanation was not good enough to prove his innocence. “Your explanation video was dawgs***,” he claimed, calling on the player to recreate some of the bizarre movement clips in his video with a hand cam. @SerpentAU recreate one of your previous videos with a full hand cam ez proof — Tfue (@Tfue) June 7, 2020 Serpent seemingly refused to follow Tfue’s advice and has now confessed to using cheats in his creative videos, apologizing to his fans on June 13. Epic Games have received backlash in the past for their Summer Skirmish Tournament at PAX WEST 2018, where they forced every player to use the same peripherals at the event, but new claims indicate that the event may have had even more problems. Former pro player, Gorilla, detailed all his complaints with the current state of Fortnite’s competitive scene in his latest YouTube video after deciding he would not return to competition, and also claimed that Epic Games had unfairly removed a player from an event mid-game. Gorilla claims that Epic refused to respond to concerns about the security of the Summer Skirmish event, which was only two weeks after the tragic incident at a Madden tournament in Jacksonville, saying, “We were worried man, we were honestly worried, we were getting no response.” The former Team Envy star explained how one of his fellow pro players called Epic Games employees out publicly for the lack of communication, saying, “He decided to tweet some people […] he was like look you gotta get this shit addressed, we’re all worried, and he made it public.” At the tournament, Gorilla detailed the alleged incident with the pro player, who was competing in the qualifiers, claiming that one of the Epic employees who he had called out had told security that the player was breaking stuff and screaming at people. Topic starts at 18:16 for mobile users. “He’s getting pointed at while he’s in the middle of his game trying to win” Gorilla explained, claiming that the player was likely to qualify before the employee got involved, “They were mad they got called out on Twitter for being ignorant.” Read More: Fortnite’s Plastic Patroller skin allows players to hide in plain sight and fans aren’t happy about it – The pro player was apparently removed from the game to get the situation resolved by looking at the webcam footage, although the games continued in his absence, ruining his chances of making it into the final. Fortnite pro players blown away by crazy new ‘Impossible Aim/Edit Course’ Since the addition of the Creative Mode in Fortnite Battle Royale, there has been a growing trend in creating difficult obstacle courses, and a new one has surfaced that has caught the attention of the community. Team Parallel pro player ‘Cnnr’ has created a course that focuses on players’ ability to aim when shooting and editing structures quickly and effectively. The course begins with the player given five Legendary Rarity Suppressed SCAR Assault Rifles from a chest, after which they have 10 minutes to complete the course as quickly as possible. However, that is much easier than it sounds, as the course features areas that are very challenging and requires players to have supreme aim as well as top notch skill and awareness when it comes to editing and movement. Numerous prominent pro players and members of the Fortnite community have shown Cnnr recognition, and Epic Games have even given him a Support-a-Creator code as a result of his suddenly newfound popularity. As the likes of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Lannan ‘LazarBeam’ Eacott complain about the title, pro players are also turning away as Liquid’s Poach formally announced his retirement on March 30. Citing “lackluster communication” and “fundamentally flawed decisions” as the driving force behind his retirement, the player outlined how he believes Epic has “ruined” the game. Having competed at the highest level since July of 2018, Poach officially decided to step away from the title on March 30 after outlining how the game “just doesn’t make [him] happy anymore.” “Unfortunately, I haven’t enjoyed playing it in a long time and it affected me by not wanting to stream Fortnite,” he explained. “I wanted to stream other games, but I felt boxed in until I made a decision on what I was going to do. That sucked.” No longer enjoying the content creation aspect is one factor behind his decision, however, Poach also addressed the esports side of Fortnite. Highlighting that “how Epic treated the game competitively” also pushed him further away from the title. “I’m a very competitive person and I really want to compete in something truly competitive and Fortnite to me clearly wasn’t that,” he explained. From TimTheTatman, to Ewok and Mongraal, countless Fortnite content creators, fellow pros, and loyal viewers chimed in to show support for his decision. Though Poach didn’t leave fans without hope for the future. “For the future I hope I find what I’m looking for in Valorant,” he said. “I have high hopes for the game and am very motivated to stream and try and compete.” Seemingly a part of Valorant’s invite-only testing period over the past weekend, perhaps his first taste-test of Riot’s upcoming FPS was enough to push him over the edge and drive him away from Fortnite for good. Leaving the battle royale genre behind for the time being, the popular player now clearly has his sights set on a switch to the pursuit of competitive FPS stardom. Having announced a closed beta period for select regions starting April 7, fans may be able to tune into Poach’s Twitch stream in order to gain early access to Valorant themselves — as long as you’re in NA or EU.

  • Fortnite pro Noahreyli reacts to instant ban over cheating allegations – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Noahreyli reacts to instant ban over cheating allegations Epic GamesThis is not the first time a high-profile Fortnite professional has been banned, but Noahreyli’s ban has come out of nowhere and has sent shockwaves through the community. Competitive Fortnite has experienced some dramatic highs and all-time lows over the years, but players running into cheating allegations is something we have grown to deal with over recent times, and another famed player experienced this recently. Swiss Fortnite pro Noah ‘Noahreyli‘ Rey was insta-banned live on stream while playing in the Fortnite Thanos Cup, and was as confused as you’d expect someone be to about this kind of ban. But, thankfully, Epic worked fast and diligently and it seems to be resolved as of now, but Noah’s reaction is worth taking a look at. Noahreyli banned live on Twitch There have been multiple iterations of Fortnite pros running into trouble when it comes to Epic’s anti-cheat system, as we have seen multiple players such as Australian Kquid, who was handed a lifetime ban for accusations of using aimbot during his time as a pro. Now, one of Europe’s most accomplished players in 15-year-old Noahreyli was streaming the Thanos Cup live on Twitch, when he was suddenly backed out of the game and notified that his account has been banned due to cheating allegations. In a state of confusion Noahreyli immediately stated “What? For what?”, as one would when they were falsely banned by Epic just a week before one of the largest solo tournaments of the year in the FNCS All-Star Showdown. Noahreyli just got banned @noshfn you better get off them cheats pic.twitter.com/KthLQjJaEO — XPRT Eomzo (@Eomzo1) June 21, 2021 Well thankfully, less than an hour after he was banned Noah’s ban was reversed by Epic Games, and Fortnite Community Competitive Manager TheStevieT messaged him on Discord to apologize for this inconvenience and how it should have never happened. Noahreyli was able to boot up his stream and continue playing in the Thanos Cup right after he was unbanned, and his stream experienced a significant spike in viewers. Reaching over 9,000 concurrent viewers because of the incident. How this ban was accidentally applied to one of the top professional player’s accounts is unknown as of now, but hopefully, this does not happen to any other players in the near future, especially with the upcoming events!

  • Fortnite pro Mongraal smashes keyboard and headset in wild rage – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Mongraal smashes keyboard and headset in wild rage BBC / Epic GamesTeam Secret player and popular streamer Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson is considered one of the best Fortnite players around, but games can be rage inducing even for the very best. Mongraal is the youngest of any Fortnite pro, first recruited to Team Secret at only 13 years old, and his skill at the game helped boost him to become one of the fastest growing streamers on Twitch. He has been in the top 10 fastest growing channels on the platform for consecutive months, gaining over 400,000 new followers since December 1 2018. While playing in Fortnite’s current competitive playlist, the ‘Architect’ Pop-Up cup, Mongraal, was eliminated before he was even able to find a weapon – and it pushed him over the edge. Picking up his keyboard and slamming it down on the desk, he knocked a number of key caps out of their slot. Things didn’t calm down from here either, as the frustration of actually trying to put the key caps back on was even more infuriating, and his headset faced the brunt of his rage this time. Finally, just to top off what had been a less than ideal streaming session, as he tried to repair his ruined setup, he sat on top of a plate of pasta, ruining his dinner too. All in all, it certainly wasn’t a highpoint of Mongraal’s streaming career, but it shouldn’t concern him. Many top streamers are in fact known for their incredible rage moments, including some of the biggest names on the platform like Dr Disrespect and xQc. Who knows, maybe Mongraal is Fortnite’s answer to Tyler1, one of the most notorious ‘ragers’ Twitch has ever seen.

  • Fortnite pro Myth finds perfect way to use new Sneaky Snowman to counter X-4 Stormwing planes – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Myth finds perfect way to use new Sneaky Snowman to counter X-4 Stormwing planes Twitter: MythPlayers are discovering more and more uses for the new Sneaky Snowman item in Fortnite Battle Royale, and Team SoloMid’s ‘Myth’ has found what could be the best one so far. During a match he played live on stream, Myth found himself in a situation where an X-4 Stormwing plane was flying straight at him with only one thing on the pilot’s mind. Using good timing, the pro player built up to be more level with the plane and threw a Sneaky Snowman at it just as the plane flew by him. The Snowman cocooned the pilot and knocked him off of the plane and onto the ground, where he stood still and was the perfect sitting duck for Myth to quickly wipe out. The strategy appeared to have worked better than he had expected as he cheered in excitement and tweeted the video out with the caption “Sneaky Snowman = counter to planes.” The clever usage of the Sneaky Snowman caught the eye of Epic Games Community Coordinator Sean ‘MrPopoTFS’ Hamilton, who commented his approval of it on Twitter. It appears that this trick is not the result of some bug or glitch but rather could possibly even be a hidden use for the Snowman that Epic did not explicitly state. how the new item could be used to prevent fall damage from any heights.

  • Fortnite pro literally falls asleep during tournament and costs his teammates – Dexerto

Fortnite pro literally falls asleep during tournament and costs his teammates Pexels / Epic GamesThe professional Fortnite community was all drama during and after the March 11 EpikWhale Cup, as Deyy fell asleep, missed an entire match and got flamed by his teammates, specifically FaZe Cented, on Twitter. Deyy has already earned over $75,000 in his Fortnite career despite still being in school and needing to wake up at 8 a.m. on most weekdays. As such, his team with Commandment, FaZe Cented, and NRG Edgey was considered to be one of the very best in the EpikWhale Cup. Unfortunately, that school schedule proved to be too difficult a situation to juggle, as the upcoming young player fell asleep and missed the first of his team’s five matches. Within moments, the team’s drama spilled over across Twitter. Cented just got signed to FaZe Clan on the same day as the tournament and evidently wanted to celebrate that by continuing to grind. The biggest obstacle to that goal? Deyy’s need for sleep. While Deyy’s initial tweet seemed pretty innocuous, there was obviously bad blood bubbling up. The napper passively complained about his teammates being grouchy about his slumber, only to find out that there was more at hand. It remains unknown what kind of dialogue happened behind the scenes, specifically with Commandment and Edgey — but Deyy and Cented truly opened the can of worms on Twitter. “We specifically told you to make sure you were awake, vibes were bad … you fell asleep during semis … went afk [away from keyboard] to facetime people three to four times.” As Cented explained, the issues with Deyy’s behavior were not solely restricted to the infamous nap. While the sleepy shooter responded that he didn’t care because he had “school 8 a.m. in the morning,” the drama didn’t stop there. As Cented later clarified, “Fortnite isn’t a hobby. It’s my job and dream to be the best.” Committed to improvement and to making a strong start to his FaZe career, it’s obvious that the player had higher expectations for himself and those around him. Instead, he found Deyy’s behavior and nap incident to be emblematic of ‘disrespect’ and treating the game like a “hobby.” Read more: FaZe Clan sign Cented to Fortnite roster – In the aftermath of the drama, Deyy received a lot of heat on social media, posted some heated tweets himself, deactivated and then re-activated his account, before finally posting a Twitlonger to clear the air. On his end, Cented also spoke out, asking people to “tone down” their comments and accusations toward Deyy and reminding everyone that the napper is just 15 years old. At the moment, the team’s results are still in fine standings, but they appear to be dismantling moving forward. Ignoring Twitter accusations against Deyy, real fans are hoping he can bounce back and prove his doubters wrong with strong, awake performances on a new team.

  • Fortnite pro Mitr0 gives major update on competitive future – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Mitr0 gives major update on competitive future Team AtlantisFortnite professional Dmitri ‘Mitr0’ Van de Vrie has issued an update on his future in competitive play with Team Atlantis amid his contract drama. Back on September 16, the Fortnite community rallied in support of Mitr0 after two community members – Twitch streamer THump and YouTuber TheFortniteGuy – claimed he was stuck in a poor contract and that Team Atlantis wouldn’t let him go. After players like Tfue, Bugha, Mongraal, and BenjyFishy all tweeted about the #FreeMitr0 movement, Team Atlantis finally responded by claiming that Mitr0 had a solid contract and it wasn’t at all like the social media rumors. However, since that statement on September 17, the Fortnite star has given fans an insight into his future. On September 27, Mitr0 confirmed via his Twitter account that he had become a free agent and wanted to thank everybody for their support. “Officially a Free Agent now,” the young star posted. “Thank you to the fans, the community and all the day one supporters > Officially a Free Agent now. Thank you to the fans, the community and all the day one supporters > — mitr0 (@mitr0) September 27, 2019 Just where Mitr0 goes from here remains to be seen but he certainly has the pedigree to claim a deal with any of the top teams in the game. As a player, the Dutchman has earned over $686,000 from tournaments – including a sixth-place finish in the Fortnite World Cup solos event. Since the end of the $30 million LAN tournament, he has dominated the Fortnite Champion Series in Europe, bagging a number of trios wins alongside BenjyFishy and Mongraal. However, with the Fortnite Championship Series switching to squads, mitr0 has departed that trio and will be looking for new teammates moving forward. It could all very well lead to him announcing his new organization, but we’ll just have to keep an eye on that.

  • Fortnite pro leaves organization after being accused of racism – Dexerto

Fortnite pro leaves organization after being accused of racism Esports organization Eleven Gaming (E11) have confirmed that Fortnite pro player Erik ‘Bloodx’ Guttormsen has ‘parted ways’ the organization, amid allegations that he used a racial slur. The Fortnite competitive scene was shocked on July 2 when an argument over the aim assist abuse topic boiled over into a serious allegation of racism. Ghost Gaming’s controller pro Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim posted a video on Twitter playing without aim assist to demonstrate his skill without the mechanic which many PC players feel is ‘broken’. His comments sparked a massive argument in his mentions, including the opinion of Bloodx, but Issa hit back with a screenshot accusing showing his fellow pro player use the racial slur. Despite denying the allegation, Bloodx revealed in a statement on Twitter that he would no longer be representing E11 after they mutually agreed to split. “I am sorry to my fans, friends, family and Eleven Gaming for the events that have transpired over the last three days,” he said. “This is simply too much for anyone to take and because of the comments that were made against me, I have decided to mutually part ways with Eleven Gaming.” The Norwegian maintained his innocence stating that he “is not a racist” and that anyone who knows him anyone close to him would know that. Effective immediately, we have parted ways with @BloodxEU. https://t.co/thI9qpz6aw — Eleven Gaming (@E11Gaming) July 5, 2019 As the proof was a screenshot from a Discord message, players in the competitive community were quick to point out that such a response could have easily been faked. However, others claimed that Issa had no reason to create a fake message just to win an argument over aim assist, with Issa himself revealing he created a folder for ‘if they switch up’. im so fucking done HAHAHAHH the amount of times he said it in a call, ive got so many pros that can back this ahhahahaahahah do i rlly have to expose him more? — issa (@ghostissa7) July 2, 2019 Bloodx vowed to do everything in his power to regain respect in the community, after facing criticism on social media. It wouldn’t be the first time that a player has recovered from serious allegations against them after Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh was accused of cheating during World Cup qualifiers, only to prove himself innocent and later join FaZe Clan as a favorite for the tournament itself.

  • Fortnite pro Kquid accused of using aimbot after shock ban – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Kquid accused of using aimbot after shock ban Epic GamesAustralian Fortnite pro Kai “Kquid” Eaton has been accused of using aimbot after he was surprisingly banned mid-game during Week 1 of the FNCS Invitational. Following the announcement that Epic Games would be hosting another major tournament in the form of the FNCS invitational which started on May 2 and featured many of the biggest stars from each region, fans were eager to see who would come out on top. Among those competing in the OCE region was pro player Kquid, who has managed to place well at multiple Fortnite events in the past, most notably a fifth-place finish at the Australian 2020 Summer Smash Open, although he was not so lucky during the FNCS invitational. After qualifying for the event with some impressive results in Fortnite’s Chapter 2 events, Kquid was banned mid-game during the first week of the ongoing FNCS event, leaving many viewers surprised as to why. However, fellow Fortnite star and YouTuber SerpentAU has now spoken out against the pro, initially accusing him of using aim assist for keyboard and mouse on the popular battle royale title. The real reason why Kquid was banned… pic.twitter.com/JXeG7rl2Oc — Serpent ?️ (@SerpentAU) May 14, 2020 Serpent uploaded a short video with multiple screenshots, with the first few highlighting some of the files and applications needed for the aim assist hacks. It was also pointed out in the video that some of those same files, which are used for masking and operating the cheat, were apparently visible on Kquid’s desktop during one of his earlier streams. Serpent followed up by attempting to refute some of Kquid’s claims, that he was having PC issues, in his response to the ban, adding that it “wouldn’t make sense” for a PC that has recently been factory reset to cause the star a suspension. He said he factory reset his pc multiple times, yet kept this on his computer, it wouldn’t make sense to have this and only try it in season 9 then just recently get banned.. mid tournament pic.twitter.com/AjW45JtXBb — Serpent ?️ (@SerpentAU) May 14, 2020 Serpent continued with his accusations and later claimed that he had “used literal aimbot,” while showing some clips of the pro’s gameplay during tournaments. We’re wrong guys, Kquid didn’t use aim assist. HE USED LITERAL AIMBOT pic.twitter.com/mPi1ZJXHYl — Serpent ?️ (@SerpentAU) May 15, 2020 Despite the claims made against Kquid, the reason for his Fortnite ban still remains unclear, and based on previous suspensions issued to pro players, it is unlikely that Epic Games will reveal the cause publicly. The Fortnite event is still set to continue without the Australian star, however, and you can keep up with all of the tournament’s action on our FNCS Invitational hub here.

However, after a couple of months with the organization, he parted ways and signed with Team Envy in May, where he further made a name for himself with a big Friday Fortnite tournament win shortly thereafter. Soon after his big win, Team Envy went through a complete restructure of their Fortnite team, which led to KingRichard again becoming a free agent. Fortnite pro kicked out of DreamHack Dallas by police after sneaking into Porsche display BuckeFPSFortnite pro and Twitch streamer Bucke was booted from DreamHack Dallas for crossing a barrier and touching a Porsche on display at the event without permission. Bucke is known primarily as a Fortnite streamer, but he’s also been a pro player for years and is currently signed with Agent for the FNCS 2024. However, his time at DreamHack Dallas was cut short. Though Bucke is one of the best Fortnite players in North America, he’s also been kicked out of LAN events before. He was booted from the FNCS 2023 LAN, and he’s had the same treatment at DreamHack Dallas. While he was streaming from the event, an officer approached him and forced him to leave. He had this to say on Twitter/X after getting kicked out: “I’d like to apologize for what I did today, I went too far and broke the rules. Disappointed in myself, I should know better. As I get older, I keep going backwards need to take a step back and really look at my actions. Appreciate everyone stopping by for the streams and sorry to let people down again.” That said, this statement came after he tweeted, “2x”, poking fun at him getting kicked out of the FNCS last year. As for the reason why he was kicked out of DreamHack, the moment where he crossed the barrier and touched the Porsche on display was livestreamed. It isn’t like Bucke damaged the car or tried to steal it, but what he did was still against the rules at the venue and resulted in him getting booted. Reactions from the community and his fans have been negative, with people telling him to “grow up” and saying that what he did isn’t defensible. Additionally, his actions resulted in fellow Fortnite streamer Pilat getting barred from the event as well. “Guilty by association I guess,” he said after getting kicked out with Bucke. It’s likely that neither of them will be allowed back in for the duration of DreamHack Dallas.

Here’s how the community reacted to his comments. The world of competitive esports has seen its share of exceptional players, and Khanada has become a major role in the rapidly growing Fortnite pro scene. He is one of the finest pros in the Fortnite community thanks to his prodigious talent, unwavering commitment, and amusing stream content. Khanada has been performing admirably in the high-stakes Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) tournaments. He has proven his competitive mettle by consistently placing highly and even winning in a few seasons. In addition to his professional achievements, Khanada has built a sizable fan base via Twitch, where he streams his gaming and engages with his audience. He recently participated in FNCS Global Championship 2023 where he placed 18th and took home $30,000 with his duo Ajerss. Khanada was seen on his most recent livestream following FNCS 2023, going ballistic on fans of European (EU) region players that competed and further stated the North American (NA) region had better quality gamers. As a result, he is under fire from EU supporters and pros. Fortnite pro Khanada furiates EU fans for “hating” them Fortnite pro Khanada who plays for NA esports team Dignitas, said some strong words to fans of EU pro players on his latest stream. You kids really make my blood boil” while referring to EU fans. He went on as he said, “Cooper and Mero just s**t on EU. They won by 60 points. Open your eyes and realize that NA s**t on you guys.” Furthermore, he called out EU pros ThomasHD & Malibuca, “And your best team there, Thomas and Malibuca, I 5-1’ed on them. Stop f*****g disrespecting NA. Do not say any stupid s**t about NA again bro.” Khanada revealed Thomas and Malibuca’s rather disappointing game statistics from the FNCS Global Championship 2023 Finals after concluding his remarks. In the image shared on X within the same thread, British Fortnite pro Veno responded, “That’s why I told you to f*** off Khanada.” Several other players joined in the conversation by saying, “His ego is huge.” Another one chimed in, “LMAO saying BEST TEAM Kami and Setty would 10-0 all 4 of them for sure.” A third joined in and said, “I think this is your first victory if you are so happy about it.” If you missed the results and our full coverage of FNCS Global Championship 2023, check it out right here.

  • Fortnite pro Khanada’s YouTube stream instantly shut down following Twitch ban – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Khanada’s YouTube stream instantly shut down following Twitch ban TSM / YouTubeLeon ‘Khanada’ Khim, a competitive Fortnite player who recently joined Built By Gamers, saw his first YouTube broadcast instantly shut down after the former TSM pro was looking for a new platform to stream following his Twitch account’s ban. Khanada is running out of options when it comes to platforms he can live-stream on. Built By Gamers’ newest high-profile recruit had built a lot of hype surrounding his first YouTube stream, where he also announced that he’d be joining the organization. With over 144K subscribers on YouTube, there was sure to be lots of viewers who would be tuning in, except for the fact that barely 25 minutes or so into it, the stream was inexplicably shut down. “Bro I just got banned for nothing,” Khanada tweeted out. “Everybody hates me. I might be the most unluckiest person to touch streaming. Anyway, thanks for everyone that showed up to the stream, means a lot. I’ll try to get this fixed as soon as possible and let you know when my next stream [is].” At this point, it’s not clear exactly what caused the issue that led to YouTube turning off the broadcast. When attempting to click to any links leading to it, users now get a message that reads, “This video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.” What makes things a bit more confusing is that this appears to be the only content on Khanada’s YouTube page that’s been taken down; the dozens of other videos he’s published over the past two years continue to exist on the page, along with his verification status. “I actually missed streaming so much just for it to get snatched right out of my hands,” Khim added on Twitter after appealing to YouTube’s Head of Gaming, Ryan ‘Fwiz’ Wyatt. What the Fortnite player is probably also alluding to in that latest tweet is the fact that not only was his attempt to stream on YouTube unsuccessful, but he’s also banned on streaming on Twitch as well. Back in September, the former TSM man was hit with an indefinite suspension, and after a lengthy appeals process, he revealed that Twitch hadn’t budged from their original decision, stating that they “do not un-suspend accounts for this level of abuse.” The “abuse” they referred to stems from the original reason for the suspension; the platform believed that Khanada had been “making threats,” despite his claims that it was just some in-game trash talk, and nothing he’s done so far has been able to persuade them otherwise. • Fortnite pro Issa announces highly anticipated comeback – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Issa announces highly anticipated comeback Epic GamesOne of the most beloved names within the competitive Fortnite community, Issa, has announced he will be returning to the game in the near future after a lengthy break due to multiple injuries. Once upon a time, Issa “Issa” Rahim was one of the most recognizable names in Fortnite, as the young controller player was one of the 100 players to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup. However, since 2019 Issa has faced a series of trials and tribulations within Fortnite and outside of the game. Forced into retirement after battling wrist injuries back in December of 2020, fans are delighted to hear that he is eyeing a comeback in the coming month. Issa making a comeback Issa retired from Fortnite in 2020 after numerous wrist injuries held him back from playing without being in excruciating pain, and he has noted on Twitter that it was not due to the way he grips his controller, but from a freak accident outside. Unfortunately, there was a fire truck lifted above where he was working, and a piece of the bumper fell off and caused damage to Issa’s hands which has caused long-lasting effects. https://twitter.com/issa/status/1401601343538749442 Now, the former Ghost Gaming streamer has announced that he is eyeing a return to the game anytime between July 9-11, 2021 and this was a nice sight to see from the competitive community. Finishing top 40 in the solo portion of the Fortnite World Cup, Issa was one of the first controller players we saw make some noise in major Fortnite events. With notable results such as ninth in the ESL Katowice LAN event with his duo partner, Kamo, the Fortnite veteran is also a beloved member of the community. https://twitter.com/issa/status/1401599770339258380 With other players such as Tom “72hrs” Mulligan also experiencing their fair share of wrist injuries in the past, it is encouraging to see Issa have another go at Fortnite in the near future, and it will be interesting to follow his journey back into the game in Season 7. But, at this time, we do not know if Issa is going to be trying his hand at competitive right away, or simply creating content for his YouTube and Twitch.

  • Fortnite pro goes viral on Twitter after being banned for a bug in FNCS – Dexerto

Fortnite pro goes viral on Twitter after being banned for a bug in FNCS Epic GamesThe latest round of Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) competition ended in disaster for pro player ‘Waffles’ as he encountered a game-breaking glitch and was banned shortly after. On August 2 Epic Games made the drastic decision to disable motorboats in Fortnite. While some terrain glitches were a big factor, the main reason to shut down an insane exploit. Through a new bug, players were able to use motorboats to duplicate a limitless number of items. Whether it’s items or ammunition, an endless amount could be generated in the blink of an eye. Obviously, using this exploit in competition would be frowned upon. However, there are also ways for players to accidentally stumble into the bug; beating an enemy and simply looting them could see your inventory overrun with infinite items. This is exactly what happened to Waffles during a round of FNCS competition on August 1. Not only was he disqualified from the tournament, but his account was also hit with a ban, leading the Fortnite community to erupt on social media in a wave of support for the player. Once a cheater always a cheater ig LOL pic.twitter.com/GWJugRinSe — waffles (@WafflesFN) August 1, 2020 “Wait my inventory is disappearing,” Waffles said in the middle of a competitive match. An endless supply of Crash Pads rapidly replaced his entire loadout. No matter how many he placed on the ground, the item never seemed to run out. “What am I supposed to do… it just happened.” Hours later a notification appeared on his screen to inform him of a disqualification. “Disqualified for something that I couldn’t control,” he responded. “Am I supposed to leave the game? That was my last game and I needed it to [qualify].” This disqualification was then followed up with an outright account ban for 28 days. “Due to recent actions, you’ve been banned from competitive play for: Cheating,” the message read. Despite having no real say in the matter, Waffles was barred from the competition and can no longer play from his primary account. Disqualified for something that I couldn’t control. We as a support team are not allowed to remove this type of ban.” Despite tagging many of the lead devs, the support team was his only line of contact. The situation escalated as “Competitive & Anti-Cheat teams” manually reviewed the issue. The ban was upheld, however, even after the investigation. “What a sh***y way to end my comp career, thanks for all the good memories,” Waffles said, seemingly done with the pro Fortnite scene. This issue sparked an outpouring of support from fellow pros, and #FreeWaffles even started trending in the United States on August 3. The official FNCS Chapter 2 Season 3 rulebook states that “any technical issues or Bug encounters must be played through.” Even though Waffles did just that and played through the duplication bug, his account still remains banned. Dexerto will update you with any developments regarding Waffles ban, and Epic Games’ stance on it, as more information becomes available.

The Vault is a very active and central aspect of Fortnite, as its where weapons and items are stored when they are removed from the game’s default core modes. While Epic have remained largely consistent with their decision making behind what should be vaulted and what shouldn’t, there are still some choices that have left many players scratching their heads. For example, the Tactical Shotgun and Suppressed Pistol are both widely considered to be among the lower tier of weapons, dropped at the first sight of even a mid-level gun, and yet both continue to exist in the game. This becomes even more of a curiosity when considering that the Pump Shotgun was recently brought back from the vault, increasing the number of shotguns to three (Combat Shotgun). While many may be confused as to why these weapons haven’t been vaulted yet, one professional player seems to have it all figured out. ‘Beehive,’ a European Fortnite pro that represents Luminosity Gaming, has theorized that the reason why Epic continue to keep weapons like the Tac Shotgun and the Suppressed Pistol in the game, is perhaps due to their partnership with Nerf. “I just realized the reason the silenced pistol and the Tac haven’t been vaulted is because Fortnite collaborated with Nerf to make three guns: Scar, Tac, and silenced pistol,” he tweeted. “I bet it’s in the contract to not remove them. This game is a f*cking meme.” I just realized the reason the silenced pistol and the tac hasn’t been vaulted is because Fortnite collabed with Nerf to make 3 guns: Scar, tac and silenced pistol. I bet it’s in the contract to not remove them. This game is a fucking meme. pic.twitter.com/QBqPYKUtIO — LG beehive (@beehivegod) June 30, 2019 Obviously, if this reason were to turn out to be true, it would definitely receive a lot of backlash from the community, as it would mean that Epic were allowing corporate deals to influence their game, especially since nothing of the sort has ever been officially announced. With the $30 million World Cup coming up, after 10 weeks of qualifiers were just played, it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine that many competitive players would feel hard done by if this theory were proved to be fact. That being said, this could end up being nothing more than a conspiracy theory, although that would still then leave the question of why these weapons are still in the game, unanswered.

  • Fortnite pro explains why he has been so frustrated since the Mounted Turret was added – Dexerto

Fortnite pro explains why he has been so frustrated since the Mounted Turret was added It’s no secret that professional Fortnite players and streamers alike have been less than impressed with Mounted Turret ever since it was added to the game, and those opinions don’t look like they’re going to change any time soon. One of the players that has been vocal about his feelings is Luminosity Gaming’s Ali ‘Sypher’PK’ Hassan, who took to Twitter on November 20 to call for it to be removed entirely. “The fact that the turret was introduced into the game and is still in the game is very insulting and annoying,” he said, seemingly suggesting that the nerfs the developers have introduced so far are nowhere near enough. He went on to explain why he is feeling so frustrated, stating: “Usually very positive and try to provide constructive feedback but the only feedback I can give in this situation is to remove it ASAP.” The fact that the turret was introduced into the game and is still in the game is very insulting and annoying. Usually very positive and try to provide constructive feedback but the only feedback I can give in this situation is to remove it ASAP. — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) November 20, 2018 Luckily for the popular streamer, Epic Games announced yet more nerfs to the controversial item shortly after his comments were made, which include a reduction in the headshot multiplier and a reduction in the time to overheat. The developers also revealed that they would be making yet more changes in the next patch, update v6.31, so it would appear that they are taking feedback on board. SypherPK received some criticism from Reddit users for his use of ‘insulting’ during his rant, prompting him to explain that he feels it represents the way many community members have been feeling since the Turret was added to the game (something that Epic may have now rectified with the latest hotfix). “I used that word as a way to represent plenty of community feedback ignored given by the community as a whole, not streamers, not pro players,” he said. “I’m not entitled to anything but ideally the community as a whole has some expectations.” Since being added to the game in the v6.30 update on November 14, the Mounted Turret has come under a great deal of criticism from professional streamers and professional players alike, including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. It will be interesting to see how much the by the November 20 nerfs have affected it once players get a chance to adapt to them.

  • Fortnite pro faces backlash after winning $400,000 LAN with controller – Dexerto

Fortnite pro faces backlash after winning $400,000 LAN with controller Australia OpenFortnite pro Breso is facing backlash after what should be one of the greatest moments of his career, after taking home the trophy at the Fortnite Australian Open LAN tournament. Breso is a player that, prior to the Australian Open, had not made many waves on an international scale, despite putting up some decent performances in regional tournaments online. However, when the Summer Smash event at the Australian Open rolled around, Breso was one of few controller players facing off against some of the international elite such as Benjy ‘benjyfishy’ Fish and TSM’s Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro. With a title-winning performance under his belt, though, some fans weren’t too pleased to see a controller player come out on top. The controller versus mouse and keyboard debate has raged on in Fortnite since cross-platform play was made available, with many mouse and keyboard players believing that aim assist on controller is overpowered and thus rendering the competitive landscape less equal. However, you rarely see controller players winning tournaments, with Breso finally breaking the mold and beating his M&KB brethren to claim the top prize of $100,000. This, you would think, is cause for celebration, but it has turned into something much different for Breso. Throughout and immediately following the tournament, the Aussie player inspired a torrent of controller-bashing comments from the Fortnite community. Luminosity Gaming’s Hampus ‘beehive’ Johnsson said that controller players “build the same as PC but with 100% consistent aim and no bloom,” saying that it’s “not competitive.” Ever since controller players got really good at building they have been winning everything. They build the same as PC but with 100% consistent aim and no bloom. Not competitive. — beehive (@beehhive) February 2, 2020 Possibly tongue-in-cheek, Jonathan ‘yung calculator’ Weber said that controller players “should be banned from pro-level practice.” https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1224082220375314437?s=20 It wasn’t only his fellow pros who took the opportunity to question the legitimacy of Breso’s win, with StatsyFN saying that Breso is a “loser.” Breso and his aim assist LOL kids a loser! Hate those controller scrimmas — statsy (@statsy281) February 2, 2020 Team Liquid’s Evan ‘Cented’ Barron, though not throwing any shade Breso’s way, did tweet longingly for the times when Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad fighting for control of Tilted Towers would be peak controller play. That said, he did later stick up for controller players, saying it must be hard having the top names in the community constantly bashing you. Can we just go back to watching nickmercs and aydan fight at tilted — Agent Cented 🇨🇦 (@Cented7) February 2, 2020 Waking up and being a controller player must suck seeing all pros bash on you for what you play on, still gonna keep doing it though — Agent Cented 🇨🇦 (@Cented7) February 3, 2020 Of course, on the other hand, Breso also got a lot of love, particularly from controller players who were happy to see one of their peers do it and overcome the odds, beating some of the greatest players in the world on what is largely considered the inferior input. While controller players will be delighted to see Breso taking gold, it’s fair to say that it has not much helped settle the debate over aim assist – but, really, the debate may never be settled anyway.

Fortnite pro Dubs issues apology following FaZe suspension Dubs, YouTubeProfessional Fortnite player and FaZe member Daniel ‘Dubs’ Walsh has issued a lengthy apology to social media after uttering a racial slur on another gamer’s Twitch stream on February 29. The offending clip quickly went viral online, prompting FaZe to indefinitely suspend their player and require all members to undergo sensitivity training, as told in their statement shortly after the incident took the net by storm. Over a month later, the 15-year-old has returned to social media, issuing an apology and updating onlookers as to the results of his sensitivity training. A statement from FaZe Clan regarding Dubs. pic.twitter.com/0lSlUEL5J7 — FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) February 29, 2020 “I would like to convey how deeply sorry I am to everyone that I hurt through the unjustifiable language that I recently used,” he began his statement. “There are no words to describe the extent of how truly sorry I am.” The Fortnite pro went on to explain that he was educated about the slur’s history during his sensitivity training and took a step back from competing to examine why he plays Fortnite competitively, discovering that he wants to “play for everyone who supports me and encourages me.” Finally, Dubs challenged his fans to live by the motto “Think Before You Speak,” and so far, his post has been met with positivity and encouragement from fellow teammates and content creators. This isn’t the first time Dubs has addressed the matter, either. Dubs’ recent apology echoes the Tweet he published directly after the incident went viral, with the pro similarly writing: “I can’t even describe how sorry I am. I did not intend to be hurtful in any way but what I said was still hurtful, insensitive, and wrong.” I can’t even describe how sorry I am. I did not intend to be hurtful in any way but what I said was still hurtful, insensitive, and wrong. The word shouldn’t have been in my vocabulary and I apologize from the bottom my heart to everyone I offended by using it. You deserve better — Dubs (@Dubsfn) February 29, 2020 While FaZe themselves have yet to directly comment on this latest development, they did retweet Dubs’ April 2 apology statement, which has since garnered over 6,000 likes at the time of writing, shortly after being published. Considering the content of his apology, it seems that Dubs will return to competitive Fortnite under a new mindset due to his sensitivity training as mandated by FaZe, although further information regarding his career has yet to be revealed.

Fortnite pro denies mocking deaf player Ewok following ban from tournament Fortnite pro player Jonathan ‘yung calculator’ Weber has denied accusations that he mocked popular deaf streamer ‘Ewok’ which led to a ban from future NerdOut tournaments. With Epic Games making trio arena custom games available, NerdOut hosted a $25,000 tournament, featuring some of the world’s best players including Turner ‘Tfue’ Tunney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. After qualifying for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup, yung calculator was invited to compete alongside Team SoloMid star Anthony ‘Zexrow’ Colandro and complexity Gaming pro Mack ‘Mackwood’ Aesoph. The trio ended the contest in 18 place, but it was revealed on Twitter that yung calculator would not be invited to any future NerdOut events. However, the World Cup qualifier was quick to deny the accusation, stating “I didn’t say this at all.” Despite his denial, the 14-year-old was heavily criticized by the Fortnite competitive community, with some believing that Epic Games should stamp out such abuse by banning him from the World Cup event. This incident isn’t the first time that calculator has been criticized by the competitive community, after he came under fire for mocking players who would be attending the World Cup as alternates. 600It remains to be seen whether Epic Games will choose to take action against the player, should the allegations prove to be true. • Fortnite pro destroys controller after being dominated by one – Dexerto

Fortnite pro destroys controller after being dominated by one Instagram: itshighsky / XboxFortnite pro Tyler ‘HighSky’ Tereso let his opinions of controller players be known in a February 9 stream, smashing up an Xbox 360 pad to show how much he despises it. HighSky plays for Sentinels, the organization which won the inaugural Fortnite World Cup with Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and was playing in Creative with the world champion and some of their fellow competitors. After being killed by controller players, HighSky had clearly had enough and smashed up a controller in a fit of rage in an attempt to make a point. When in the lobby after their games, HighSky was evidently heated and held up an Xbox 360 controller, saying “I’m getting sh*t on by a dude on this. On this!” “This is what’s sh*tting on me,” the streamer repeats, before asking his viewers if they want to know “how he feels about this,” unable to contain his anger. He proceeds to get up and swing the controller like a lasso, smashing it on the ground repeatedly while yelling out random expletives to get his anger out, ensuring the controller was unusable going forward. For a short moment, it looked like he was done, turning back to his streaming setup and showing the now-smashed controller, saying “that’s how I f**king feel about this thing.” After confirming with his stream that it was broken, he turned back around and started swinging it over his shoulder again, making sure that it was beyond repair if it wasn’t already. While HighSky may have been playing up to the camera a little bit, his fury is echoed across a lot of the competitive Fortnite community, who have taken serious issues with controller players in recent months. The issue of aim assist in Fortnite has been a huge debate among the community, especially as it is stronger on PC than it is on console. A number of big names have come out to speak against aim assist in the game, including the likes of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Tom ‘72hrs’ Mulligan. However, we haven’t seen those two destroying their equipment quite like this over the issue.

  • Fortnite pro Clix swatted live on stream during FNCS tournament – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Clix swatted live on stream during FNCS tournament Professional Fortnite player and streamer Cody ‘Clix’ Conrad was playing in the Fortnite Champion Series with his squad when he was swatted during a live broadcast. During a match on October 26, during an FNCS match, Clix had to leave his stream and teammates behind as he discovered somebody called the police to his residence. The timing caught everyone off guard, as Clix abruptly announced to his team and viewers that he had been ‘swatted’ – a cruel and dangerous hoax where someone calls authorities to falsify a report of a crime in the hopes of sending armed officers to the scene. The trick is often played on streamers, as the culprit knows the ensuing choas is likely to be captured on their broadcasts. “Police are here,” Clix exclaimed, seemingly out of nowhere, shocking his viewers. “Yo, I just got swatted.” Luckily, nobody was harmed as a result and Clix’s team was even able to take home the victory in the match it happened. Clix had already been eliminated by that point so his departure didn’t hurt his team. Despite everything turning out fine, Clix was still shaken by what happened and condemned the act on social media, writing “Swatting is so disgusting, what’s the point of it,” he tweeted. Clix is just the latest in a string of streamers that have been swatted this year, and he’s not even the first Fortnite player to fall victim to the crime. Shortly after bringing home a victory at the Fortnite World Cup, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf was swatted during his Twitch stream, where he had to take a roughly 10-minute break from the broadcast to address it. Read More: Tfue wipes out Ninja and his Fortnite squad – Like Clix, Bugha wasn’t harmed as a result of this but it’s alarming how often swattings actually occur. The infamous Call of Duty swatter Tyler Barriss was sentenced to prison as a result of getting somebody killed by police as a result of his “prank” he played. Unfortunately, it appears that his story has taught future swatters any lessons as they keep happening. Many big streamers work something out with the local police to let them know who they are so the law enforcement will be aware of something like a swatting happening. Hopefully, Clix will be able to move on from this and continue his dominance in FNCS.

  • TSM Myth and NICKMERCS debate the Baller’s place in Fortnite – Dexerto

TSM Myth and NICKMERCS debate the Baller’s place in Fortnite Members of the Fortnite pro community such as Myth, Ninja, NICKMERCS and others are split on whether the Baller is good or bad for the game. When Epic Games announced planes were being vaulted at the beginning of Season 8 in Fortnite much of the pro community was very excited about the news. Epic Games followed up this announcement by introducing the Baller is Season 8, a new vehicle that has a lot of mobility, but nothing like what the plane was capable of. The Baller is not nearly as powerful as the plane was but it is still causing issues with prominent members of the Fortnite community. It’s easy to look at the Baller as being a cheesy vehicle but it has been causing problems for players just because of its ability to wreak havoc and how unpredictable it can be. TSM Myth doesn’t think the Baller is a good alternative to the planes Oh how happy we were before we knew they were gonna add balls. pic.twitter.com/ogKuWHBBde — Myth (@TSM_Myth) March 25, 2019 In a tweet Myth pretty much called out Fortnite and bashing the Baller at the same time. “Oh how happy we were before we knew they were gonna adds balls,” he wrote. While there are some players who agree with him, some of the bigger names in the Fortnite community shared their disagreements with that statement. NICKMERCS, Ninja and WizKay all weighed on the debate. NICKMERCS, Ninja and WizKay all think the Baller is a fine alternative to planes You’re trippin’ bro. Better by A LOT in my book. Health is much lower also easier to shoot. They don’t have a turret which is nice and you can’t get sniped from one in the sky. Hamster ball > Plane. By a mile. — Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) March 25, 2019 NICKMERCS responded to Myth’s initial tweet saying he thinks the Baller is much better than the planes were. “Hamster balls are a much better alternative,” NICKMERCS wrote. “The planes were ridiculous.” Myth responded by saying both had their positives and negatives but he wouldn’t say the Baller is a much better alternative, to which Nick said the Baller was better than a plane by a mile and said Myth was trippin’. Ninja agreed with Nick’s statement about the Baller is better than the plane and WizKay weighed in by saying he thinks the Baller is better but said neither are good for competitive Fortnite. You’re trippin’ bro. Better by A LOT in my book. Health is much lower also easier to shoot. They don’t have a turret which is nice and you can’t get sniped from one in the sky. Hamster ball > Plane. By a mile. — Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) March 25, 2019 It’s easy to see why the Baller would be a fun vehicle to mess around in with friends but in a competitive setting, it’s hard to see where they fit in. That’s not to say they are completely broken but many pros agree Fortnite has a long way to go before it gets its competitive scene ironed out and getting rid of vehicles does seem like something that should be considered.

For the duos bracket, the total prize money available was $6,000, and there were some very big names competing. Fortnite pros Clix and Dejsean ‘Deyy’ Hew decided to team up for the duos part of the tournament in an attempt to win themselves some cash. Clix and Deyy also decided to stream their games on Twitch. Bugha was not streaming the tournament, so we don’t have his perspective during the game. It is possible that Bugha did hear it, as he is one of the top Fortnite pros at the moment. But also, it is a very risky play to go back into the storm. As of yet, Bugha has not responded to the accusations so fans are unsure what his perspective was on the matter.

  • Fortnite pro Clix banned from Twitch – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Clix banned from Twitch Misfits Fortnite Battle Royale pro Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod has been banned from Twitch playing with ‘Zayn’ on stream, echoing Khanada’s ban earlier this week. Clix is one of the youngest Fortnite stars on the planet, with his stream pulling in thousands of viewers every day. However, he will be forced to take a break from Twitch for the time being, after being handed a ban from the platform. WTF — Clix (@Clix) November 12, 2019 It comes after former Team Liquid pro and team mate of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, ‘Khanada’, was banned for three days after playing with Zayn on November 8. This meant that Tfue and his team couldn’t stream their Fortnite Championship Series matches over the weekend. This led Clix to question whether his week-long ban ruling was fair. “How does Khanada get a three day and I get a seven day,” he said. While it’s harder to crack down on between small content creators, the ban of Zayn from Twitch was very public. The Fortnite wagerer was taken off the platform on October 29 after his third ban from the platform. Read more: Why Tfue didn’t stream FNCS this week – Clix’s channel was previously shut down by Twitch on August 17 after it was hacked. This didn’t count towards his ban counter for Twitch’s three-strikes rule, which bans any content creator after three offenses, regardless of severity. Unless Twitch has a change of heart, Clix will remain banned until November 18. This means he won’t be able to stream his Solo Cash Cup matches for Week 3, and his squad will also be unable to stream their Fortnite Champion Series Week 3 games on November 17.

Fortnite pro calls for simple change to Winter Royale to make it fair G2 Esports pro player Dominik ‘RazZzero0o’ Beckman thinks Epic Games need to force players to remain in lobbies until the end of matches during the Fortnite Winter Royale qualifiers. The qualifiers are set to take place over six open sessions in a two day period, taking place on Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25 for European and North American players. Players will be awarded points for in-game eliminations and final placement in qualifying matches, with players able to earn a maximum of eight points per match by finding seven or more kills and earning a Victory Royale. However, with the top 200 players based on points progressing to their respective continental finals, some fans are worried that players who spend long in games trying to secure a win will miss out due to players going for kills and then purposefully dying to quickly hop into another one. • Fortnite pro Chap embarrasses opponent with perfectly timed decoy – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Chap embarrasses opponent with perfectly timed decoy Epic Games / Team LiquidTeam Liquid pro Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo turned a bad situation into an epic clip with a well-timed Decoy Grenade – and a bit of acting to embarrass another competitor. The pro was just minted with the Grotto Henchmen outfit after entering a phone booth, but Chap was stuck in the animation when he saw another player coming up from his flank. Already at a disadvantage, the Team Liquid BR player took off around the corner, putting up a few walls on the way to break the player’s line of sight. The American-born Fortnite player had to think on his feet, since he’d already sustained significant damage that left him on 32 HP without any shields. That’s when he unloaded the few Decoy Grenades he had in his inventory, summoning three copies of his character. Instead of just hightailing it out of the battle, the streamer stood his ground to take the fight – using the animated decoys to disguise himself. Trying to figure out which is the real character among a few Fortnite decoys can be tricky, since the game has them performing random jumps, crouches and animations to really sell the hologram. However, the computer-generated movements are traditionally clunky and can telegraph which model is probably a fake – something Chap used to his advantage when mimicking the decoys that were taking after him. To accomplish this feat, he awkwardly positioned himself facing the wall, while letting his attacker slip outside of his view. The pro walked forward, away from the player, to imitate the absent-minded movement of a decoy that wouldn’t be reacting to a nearby foe. That’s when Chap looked to his right to see that his trap worked, since his opponent was already shooting one of the clones. The TL pro then dropped his disguise and opened fire on his attacker who had their back completely turned to Chap. While it was a risky strategy to commit to, especially with low health, the Fortnite pro made quick work of his opponent just before going back into the phone booth that started the whole play.

  • Fortnite pro Bugha slams controller aim assist as ‘actually hacking’ – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Bugha slams controller aim assist as ‘actually hacking’ Epic Games/UnsplashFortnite World Cup winner and popular streamer, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, has called for Epic Games to nerf controller aim assist. Since late in 2019, Fortnite fans have been debating how much of an advantage controller players have due to aim assist, making it a hot topic among streamers as well. Many of the top players, such as Tfue and Ninja, have been quite vocal about their frustrations with this supposed controller advantage, and World Cup champ Bugha is the latest pro to voice his concerns. The Fortnite star was streaming pro scrims for his viewers on February 29 when he was picked out of the air with two clean shots from fellow pro, Scoped, who is regarded as one of the best controller players. Scoped’s shots were instantly criticized, however, as Bugha claimed that controller players had a significant advantage and started calling for aim assist to be nerfed. “What…Scoped, dude controller, please just get nerfed, I will do anything it’s not fair.” he expressed, calling for Epic to make changes. The Sentinels pro then likened the controller’s aim assist in Fortnite to hacking, suggesting that it was too easy for players like Scoped to pick up those kills against PC players. “No keyboard and mouse player hits that sh*t, I just died man, he doesn’t even mean to lock on to me either, It’s just hacking bro, it’s actually just hacking,” Bugha added. Although many of the top Fortnite pros have echoed the same sentiment, some of Bugha’s viewers pointed out that his low health may have made the kill seem worse than it actually was. Epic Games revealed on their Trello board that they had implemented a fix for inconsistent aim assist in Fortnite during their February 25 maintenance patch although it is unclear if they have any plans on nerfing the controversial feature.

  • Fortnite pro baffled after Epic Games ban him for “swinging pickaxe” – Dexerto

Fortnite pro baffled after Epic Games ban him for “swinging pickaxe” Oceania-based Fortnite pro player Jack ‘sozmann’ Lehane has criticized developers Epic Games in a series of tweets, after he was apparently banned for ‘swinging his pickaxe’. Sozmann is a professional Fortnite player based in Australia, and so competes in the Oceania region of Epic Games competitive setup. He was present at July’s Fortnite World Cup, competing in the solo section of the competition. Despite qualifying numerous times – and winning the Week 9 Oceania Qualifiers outright – he placed below average in the solos competition and finished 68th overall. Regardless, he has regularly proved himself as one of the top players in the world. On December 6, sozmann tweeted that he would “Never do such a thing in my life and I get hit with this hours before FCS finals.” Attached was an image of a ban on his Fortnite account. The ban pertained to alleged “Collusion/Match Fixing”, and was scheduled to last two weeks. However, sozmann claimed that the ban was for swinging his pickaxe. “[I’m] assuming I got a 2 weeker for pickaxe swinging but the entire community does it,” he said. “Literally top pros in videos say “pickaxe swing at me”. I got no words bro [I] would never do anything like this.” assuming i got a 2 weeker for pick axe swinging but the entire community does it literally top pros in videos say “”PICKAXE SWING AT ME”” i got no words bro would never do anything like this — sozman (@sozman) December 7, 2019 Pickaxe swinging is used as an informal method of ‘communication’ used by many professional players, who swing their pickaxe while rotating as an indication that they are not looking for any conflict. If players swing their pickaxe in response, it generally sees both players move on and focus on positioning and looting. However, in this case, it appears Epic interpreted it as illicit. Despite his initial frustrations, sozmann’s ban appeared to be reversed quickly, as he tweeted: “This issue has been resolved please don’t throw negativity towards anyone affiliated with Epic [Games].” This issue has being resolved please dont throw negativity towards anyone affiliated with epic — sozman (@sozman) December 7, 2019 The fact that sozmann had his ban reversed swiftly suggests it was either a mistake on Epic’s behalf, or the situation was clarified to them and they judged that the Australian had not broken any rules. Lehane is currently competing in the ongoing Oceania Fortnite Champions Series, playing alongside players such as RepulseGod and aleccfishy. He will be hoping to replicate the success he had in the World Cup qualifiers, in which he proved himself to be one of the very best Oceania-based players.

  • Fortnite pro Bugha explains why he’s looking for a new FNCS squad – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Bugha explains why he’s looking for a new FNCS squad Fortnite World Cup winner Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf has revealed that he’s looking for a new squad for the FNCS, but he does have one condition. After the success of the Fortite Championship Series in Season 10, Epic Games decided to switch things up ahead of Chapter 2 – giving their popular battle royale a better road map for competitive play and changing the format. The previous season saw players compete in solos, duos, and trios events, but for Chapter 2, the focus has moved to squads – meaning players have had to assemble four-player teams. A number of teams have already been confirmed, including Bugha’s initial line-up, but he appears to be in need of a change of teammates before the competition gets underway. The Fortnite World Cup winner had been down as playing alongside Stretched, Zayt, and Saf – with the squad practicing together against other professional squads – but Bugha will be taking his own path moving forward. On October 21, the Fortnite star tweeted out that he was now on the lookout for a team as a solo player, giving him a clean break from his original line-up. However, anyone that wants to pick the highly-talented Sentiels professional up would have to be “comfortable with streaming.” While plenty of fans were shocked at the move, a number of Bugha’s fellow Fortnite pros couldn’t help but pull out some jokes. FaZe Clan’s Nate ‘Nate Hill’ Hill jokingly asked the 16-year-old about his best placements, while Team SoloMid’s Slappie wanted to know about his earnings before picking him up. Of course, with the annoucement of a top-class player like Bugha hitting the open market for the squads event, it could throw other teams’ plans into jeopardy. It remains to be seen who’ll be dropping out of the battle bus with moving forward, but they’ll have to be quick considering the warm-up event kicks off on October 25.

  • Fortnite pro Aydan gets taste of his own medicine after smurfing ban – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Aydan gets taste of his own medicine after smurfing ban Aydan – TwitchGhost Gaming Fortnite pro Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad was given a taste of his own medicine, fresh off his ban for smurfing. On October 1, Aydan found out his alt account on Fortnite was banned due to smurfing, which came right off a 41 elimination game. After the match was finished, he was met with a message that informed him of his 24-hour ban. Although it was just his alt account, word quickly spread about the ban. Many players have resorted to smurfing due to the long queue times that have been plaguing high-rank players in Arena mode. In a game on his regular account, Aydan was eliminated by a player named “GeT sMuRfEd KiD” which could just be a simple coincidence, but the fact he was taken out of the game by him makes it even funnier. Aydan even got a laugh out of it, showing there are no hard feelings to those who feel the need to troll him over what happened. “Get smurfed kid,” he said as he chuckled. “No way. He’s 1 HP, bro. No way! Bro, there’s no way. I’m out of here, bro.” Long matchmaking times have turned into a major issue in Fortnite and it seems like the developers don’t have many answers on how to solve that. As a result, players have turned to smurfing in a way to entertain their viewers and keep playing the game. It’s been a common problem in the Arena playlist, but with it being the only mode with siphon, some players have been hesitant to play in normal lobbies. Until a proper fix is implemented, smurfing will continue to be an issue. Regular lobbies do has skill-based matchmaking now so even if you can’t find a match in Arena, you’ll still run into some solid players outside of that. Perhaps Season 11 will be able to provide a solution to the long queue times. The current season ends on October 13 and we’re likely looking at a new season right after.
