Fortnite pro apologizes after DreamHack Dallas fight breaks out During the DreamHack Dallas LAN Fortnite tournament, two players got into a fist fight after one of them reportedly griefed the other, preventing a crucial win. DreamHack Dallas is a three-day gaming event hosting everything like Rocket League, CS:GO, and FGC tourneys. During the event, pro Fortnite players were invited to compete for a $25,000 LAN tournament. On the cusp of placing first and taking home the largest slice of the pot, DiegoPlayz was stopped short after another player who he claims intentionally threw the tournament just to derail him. This led Diego to seek out the griefer to start a fist fight at the convention. A small portion of the scuffle was caught on camera before the players were separated. https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1532947205698502656 Diego apologizes for DreamHack fist fight After the event, Diego took to Twitter where he posted a twitlonger expressing his regret for the incident. He apologized to DreamHack as well as the other player and their family. “It feels horrible being so close to winning a LAN event and then having someone purposely taking away what I’ve been grinding so hard for,” Diego said. “With that being said I should have not reacted the way I did.” However, a large number of Diego’s followers felt the apology was unnecessary. “Personally if that was me I wouldn’t even say sorry”, one user commented, while another stated, “If I got griefed for 8k I’m doing the same” Nice bro getting landed on by a random whos no where near me on the drop map and bro dies with collider loot second zone — DiegoPlayzFN (@DiegoPlayzFN) June 4, 2022 According to Reverse2k, another pro Fortnite player, Diego was in first place going into the last round of DreamHack. This was when the offending player landed on Diego and started to grief him causing him to lose the tournament. DreamHack has yet to respond to the incident, and neither party has been banned from future LAN/in-person events. We will make sure to update our readers if and when this story develops.

Fortnite pro at 100k WSOE event says a boombox is better than aim – Dexerto
Fortnite pro at 100k WSOE event says a boombox is better than aim WSOE, Twitch / Epic Games, FortniteFortnite pros ‘Psalm’ and ‘Rhux’ had a lot to say about the game’s brand-new ‘boombox’ item, which stirred up a slew of controversy after being released the same day as the $100,000 WSOE tournament on December 30. The pair were approached for an interview after taking a second win in Duos during the WSOE when Rhux made a fairly scathing statement about the in-game item. “If I get a boombox, it’s a free win,” Rhux said when asked about his team’s Victory Royale. “I mean, we had a boombox in [the] high ground, so it was a pretty free win.” Psalm appeared to corroborate his claims, stating, “You don’t need aim, you just need a boombox. You just need music, know what I’m saying?” Fortnite’s boombox has been at the center of controversy since its introduction, with many across the scene decrying its overly-destructive properties. The boombox is a throwable item that destroys any builds in its path, literally hurling a major monkey wrench into the game’s meta. Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins spoke out on the item via Twitter, with his harsh sentiments echoed by a slew of other professional players and personalities. “Enjoy scrimming in Fortnite with that new item, LOL,” Ninja wrote. This isn’t the first time Epic Games have introduced a new, game-breaking item just ahead of a major tournament, either; the company released the highly-criticized Infinity Blade just before their Winter Royale tournament series, vaulting the item shortly thereafter. Psalm and Rhux took fourth place at the WSOE, with Ceice and Elevate taking first place and the $100,000 prize.

Fortnite pro accuses Epic Games of “scamming” him after FNCS Major win – Dexerto
Fortnite pro accuses Epic Games of “scamming” him after FNCS Major win Putrick / Epic GamesAfter winning the FNCS Major, Fortnite pro Putrick has accused Epic Games of defrauding him, claiming he was scammed. In addition, the professional player asserted that he and his teammate were expelled from the FNCS Global Championship LAN finals, which will be conducted in Copenhagen in October 2023. Here’s the full story. Fortnite, created by Epic Games, is more than just a global gaming phenomenon; it is also home to one of the most vibrant and competitive gaming communities. As players land on the island’s constantly shifting battlefield, they engage in high-stakes battles, build structures, and demonstrate their abilities in both solo and team modes. However, things don’t always go as planned for pros after a competitive tournament, and that’s precisely what happened to one of them during FNCS Majors in 2023, prior to the Fortnite Champion Series LAN Finals in Copenhagen in October 2023. After being disqualified from the FNCS LAN finals and denied the cash incentive for his FNCS Major victory, a professional player by the name of Putrick has taken aim at Epic Games by accusing them in public. He claims that Epic has “scammed” him and that he is the victim of a terrible misfortune. Here’s all the info you need to know about it. Fortnite pro Putrick accuses Epic of “scamming” him According to recent posts made on X by Putrick himself, he and his teammate were denied a $200,000 cash prize for winning the FNCS Major because they are Russian citizens. Putrick posted on X by saying, “Only in Fortnite you can win Major and getting scammed like this. I think it’s first time in cybersport history.” As a result of the tensions between Russia and Ukraine, the United States imposed legal sanctions on Russia, and Epic Games subsequently decided not to hold any Fortnite tournaments there. In contrast, when he contacted Epic Games support, all they could confirm with him is that his nationality disqualified him from receiving the prize and competing, so his participation was invalid. After conversing with Jake Lucky, Putrick informed him that he and his teammate have a bank account in Kazakhstan and competed in the FCNS out of Belarus, which falls within the eligible regions. This appeared to be a domicile issue, despite Putrick’s efforts to be eligible to compete. Following a thread of tweets, Jake also said “I got real sympathy for a kid who played and earned life-changing money now being told he can’t have his check or go to a $4 million event all because of his country of origin, just sucks”. Putrick in the last post on his thread went on to say, “Played this game from 2018, spent a lot of effort all my time to get this result and that’s it”. While Epic hasn’t issued a public statement on the situation, it’ll be quite interesting to see what other pro players from the FNCS scene have to say about it in the coming weeks.

Fortnite pro 72hrs shows off exploit to instantly farm Gold in Arena & tournaments – Dexerto
Fortnite pro 72hrs shows off exploit to instantly farm Gold in Arena & tournaments Epic Games / Team LiquidTeam Liquid’s Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan explained how to make use of a Fortnite exploit that lets players instantly farm Gold in Arena & tournaments to quickly access Exotic weapons. There are plenty of players trying to get a leg up on one another in FNCS Season 5. And after seeing how people can quickly acquire Gold Bars shortly after landing on the island, 72hrs is convinced this exploit must have been used before. Gold Bars are a new currency in Fortnite since Season 5 launched, and they can be used to buy into Exotic weapons or upgrade weaponry, among other things. In the base game, Fortnite players can take Gold into consecutive matches. This doesn’t apply for the Arena or tournament games, but 72hrs found a way that essentially gives people a way to quickly stack the currency as soon as the game begins. To acquire Gold in the first place, players can find NPCs throughout the island to complete quests that will in-turn reward them the sought-after currency. But 72hrs found that there are timed quests that let you keep multiple challenges active between different Fortnite matches, even in the Arena. This means that players can go into a regular game, activate some of these quests, complete some progress toward them, immediately exit that match, and go into an FNCS game with the almost-completed quest. Read more: Best landing spots in Fortnite Season 5 – After that, all you’d need to do is wrap up the quests to instantly bag Gold Bars in no time at all. There’s a murky ‘gray-area’ using the technique, 72hrs said. He didn’t go far enough to say that this was cheating, but definitely sees Epic Games moving quickly to patch this exploit. Read more: What’s included in March’s Fortnite Crew? – Of course, it’s unknown if people will be getting banned or retroactively punished for using the trick, but 72hrs was fine showing people how to use it since it’s a repeatable mechanic in Fortnite. As more people use it, expect the devs to take notice of this and create the appropriate changes to bring some balance to FNCS, should it get out of hand.

Fortnite Prime Shotgun: Stats, location & is it any good? – Dexerto
Fortnite Prime Shotgun: Stats, location & is it any good? Epic GamesA brand new shotgun called the Prime Shotgun has debuted in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, so we’ve got all the details you need including stats, where to find it, and whether it’s any good. Fortnite regularly adds new features with mid-season updates to keep things interesting, like map changes and new challenges. But the most exciting is always the debut of a new weapon to try out. Following the v21.30 update, a completely new shotgun called the Prime Shotgun is available in the loot pool. This unique weapon hits harder when fully loaded, but is it any good? Let’s find out. Fortnite Prime Shotgun stats Here are the Prime Shotgun stats for each rarity available in Fortnite: These are the stats that have been shared by Fortnite leakers, so they could always end up changing slightly. There’s also a chance that Epic Games will add nerfs or buffs in future updates. Where to find the Prime Shotgun in Fortnite The good news is that the Prime Shotgun is part of the regular Fortnite loot pool, which means you can find it in Chests, in Supply Drops, in Loot Sharks, and even as floot loot if you’re lucky. As with any weapon, you’ll have a better chance of finding a rarer (and more powerful) variation of the Prime Shotgun if you focus on Chests and Supply Drops rather than floor loot. Is the Prime Shotgun good in Fortnite? The new Prime Shotgun is a really great addition to the loot pool. With huge headshot damage and extra firepower when fully loaded, it’s possible to one-shot opponents who don’t have max shield. The main downside of the Prime Shotgun is its slow fire rate and reload speed, but it’s still faster to reload than other shotguns in the current loot pool like the Two-Shot and the Auto Shotgun. As long as you’ve got something fast-firing like an SMG or an Assault Rifle to back you up, the Prime Shotgun might just be the best shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Where to find Predator’s mysterious pod in Fortnite: Location guide – Dexerto
Where to find Predator’s mysterious pod in Fortnite: Location guide Epic GamesEpic Games have dropped the biggest teaser yet that Predator will be the next major crossover character to join the world of Fortnite, and if you’re wondering where the mysterious pod location is, you’ve come to the right place. The game’s map is an ever-changing beast, that’s for sure. With almost every passing update there are big changes to the way it looks, with new points of interest (POIs) being added with each passing season, and sometimes even with weekly patches. With the v15.20 update came the arrival of an extraterrestrial ship, similar to those Star Wars fans will be familiar with. Only, upon closer inspection, you will see that this is no Star Wars ship at all. Predator has arrived in the Fortnite world. When did Fortnite add the mysterious pod? The ‘mysterious pod’ first crash-landed on The Island as part of the v15.20 update on January 13, 2021. At first, it appeared to simply be another easter egg teasing the arrival of a long-rumored Predator skin in the game. But it was eventually revealed to be essential to completing a new series of Jungle Hunter Quests. These new quests are exclusive to Battle Pass holders, and all of them will need to be completed in order to unlock the Predator skin as well as a series of matching cosmetics including a back bling and a pickaxe. Where to find Predator’s mysterious pod in Fortnite To complete the first of Predator’s Jungle Hunter Quests, you’ll need to find a ‘mysterious pod’ which is actually a crash-landed ship. Doing this will unlock a Predator-themed banner icon for you to use on your profile. It’s actually quite easy to find the mysterious pod in-game, if you know where to look anyway. Below is an easy step-by-step guide on how to find its location, which is Stealthy Stronghold. Launch up Fortnite Battle Royale. – Jump from the Battle Bus. – Glide over to the Stealthy Stronghold point of interest. – From there, head into the forest and you should find the ship waiting to be explored. – Fortnite mysterious pod location If you’re having some trouble identifying the exact spot with those instructions, don’t worry. We’ve highlighted the location on the Fortnite map below, to make things a little easier. Once you get close enough to the ‘mysterious pod’ the Jungle Hunter Quest will be ticked off automatically. Fortnite predator cosmetics Not only can the character’s ship be found in-game, but there’s also a selection of cosmetics inspired by the iconic movie franchise. These include a banner icon, an icon, and a graffiti spray which can all be unlocked by completing Jungle Hunter Quests. So, there you have it! Now you’re just a few steps away from finding an alien spaceship in the world of Fortnite Battle Royale. Fortnite potentially adding a test server to try patches early – Dexerto
Fortnite potentially adding a test server to try patches early Epic GamesFortnite’s second season could be adding test servers so players can try out patches before they experience a wide release, judging by a new game option in the Epic Games launcher. Since Fortnite Chapter 2 was released back in October of 2019, developers Epic Games have been criticized for no longer releasing exhaustive patch notes. While complete patch notes were provided throughout Fortnite’s first chapter, Epic have not released them for some time. It is thought to have been prompted by players refusing to play if they see a change they do not agree with, but the developers have been tight-lipped about the reasons for the change. Regardless, it looks like players are heavily in favor of test servers, which would provide them with the chance to try out new additions before they make their way into the full game. A tweet from British professional player Benjamin ‘benjyfishy’ Fish showed a new game option alongside regular Fortnite called ‘FortnitePublicTest’. This quickly stirred some excitement in the community, as players interpreted it as the upcoming implementation of test servers, similar to games like Rainbow Six: Siege, PUBG and Overwatch. this is for people playing at dreamhack anaheim it seems like! — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) February 15, 2020 Test servers essentially enable developers to use a wider player base to test their changes, as well as get a better idea of the community’s consensus on larger patches, before rolling out to the main game. However, community spirits were dampened as the pro player suggested that the test server might only be available to players attending DreamHack Anaheim, who will be playing on a slightly different build of the game. This didn’t stop players expressing their desires for a test server, however. One fan described Epic as “teases” for naming the file the way they did, while another said that Epic “need” to bring one out to help players prepare for tournaments. https://twitter.com/BIuWasTaken/status/1228505304347955205?s=20 While it’s not clear whether there are plans for a public test server in Fortnite Chapter 2, the incident has shown that there is definitely an appetite for it. The season 2 update is set to release on February 20, so we might know more then. Over to you, Epic.

Fortnite: Popular YouTuber and attorney discusses possible outcomes of emote lawsuits against Epic Games – Dexerto
Fortnite: Popular YouTuber and attorney discusses possible outcomes of emote lawsuits against Epic Games Lawsuits brought against Epic Games over in-game emotes has sent fans and curious minds to wonder who has the higher ground in the dispute, but a YouTubing lawyer gave some high-level analysis of the conflict. Epic Games will get put through a legal grinder over the use of emotes that are frame-by-frame recreations of dances from other people, but before proceedings take place a discerning YouTuber gave his assessment of the dispute and it might give a peek into what’s to come for the developer. YouTuber LegalEagle broke down possible elements that could be crucial for either side in a video that covered the Fortnite case, and if all signs are correct Epic Games might be in clear waters. LegalEagle got down to brass tacks by explaining what the plaintiffs 2 Milly, Alfonso Ribeiro, and the Backpack Kid will need to prove in order to be able to own their dances. “A work must be original to its author, and that work must be independently created by the author itself. And it must possess at least some minimal degree of creativity,” he said. He likened the definition to songs and books that can enjoy copyright protection, but the individual notes or words used to create the entire work cannot be copyrighted. The biggest question revolves around the popular dances’ legitimacy as a choreographed work thus falling into the protection of copyright. The law protects these kinds of dances, but does “not include social dance steps and simple routines.” There could be strong efforts aimed at proving or disproving the dances’ validity through this framework, but LegalEagle sides with the defendants that the emotes were based off social dances. The case is sure to arduous for all sides, but the video provides a lot of insight for those looking to get a better grasp of the issue.

Fortnite: Popular YouTuber recreates fully functional Teen Titans tower in Creative mode – Dexerto
Fortnite: Popular YouTuber recreates fully functional Teen Titans tower in Creative mode The new Creative mode in Fortnite Battle Royale was added to the game for players to be just that – creative. One popular YouTuber, however, has taken creativity in the mode to a whole new level. Team Kaliber content creator ‘WhosChaos,’ who boasts almost a million subscribers on YouTube, has recreated the iconic Titans Tower structure from the popular animated series Teen Titans. In the series, the tower is the Titans’ base of operations, and features numerous rooms that serve a variety of purposes, such as living quarters, main operations, evidence storage, and more. WhosChaos, along with tK content creator ‘GONE,’ spent over ten hours on this project, recreating the Titans Tower in Fortnite as close to the tower from the series as they could. They provided an in-depth tour of the facility in a video posted on Twitter, which shows how truly remarkable their project turned out to be. Using the in-game Replay feature in Fortnite, the video starts by showing off the exterior of the Titans Tower, before moving into the structure and displaying the interior one floor at a time. The attention that the pair paid to all of the details is quite mesmerizing, as all of the rooms are distinctly labeled and modeled after the tower from the series, all the way down to details as minute as furniture arrangement. So I decided to build a fully functioning and furnished Teen Titans’ Tower with @AND_IM_GONE. 10 hours later… So glad Epic has both Creative and Replay Mode in @FortniteGame. This was too much fun to make!! pic.twitter.com/51vCTiZD2x — whos chaos (@WhosChaos) December 10, 2018 This is not the first time that players have tried to recreate the Titans Tower in Fortnite, but with how in-depth and complex the new Creative mode is, this attempt is by far the best one. Epic Games will be thrilled to see players create things like this in the Creative mode, because that’s what the mode was put in the game for. And now it’s clear that the sky is the limit for the potential of the mode and what players can generate inside it.

Fortnite poll reveals most beloved mode and it’s not Battle Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite poll reveals most beloved mode and it’s not Battle Royale FortniteFortnite polled its player base, asking what their favorite playstyle was. As it turns out, Battle Royale is the black sheep of the game mode family. Fortnite’s game modes have been through quite the evolution. Battle Royale, the mode that put Epic Games’ Fortnite on the map, has been around since the game’s launch in 2017. Zero Build arrived in 2022, eliminating the building element and focusing purely on combat. Then there’s the newest kid on the block, Reload, which debuted on June 22, 2024. In July 2024, Fortnite decided to stir the pot with a poll on X. This poll asked players to pick their favorite playstyle, among other features. Note that LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival were left out of the poll. Two hours after the poll was posted, only 8 comments voted for the Battle Royale mode, compared to around 30 for both Reload and Zero Build. Leaving this Fortnite poll aside, even streamer Ninja refuses to play Battle Royale. He’s disillusioned by the Chapter 5 Season 3 vehicle meta and exclusively into Zero Build and Reload. Current player stats paint a mixed picture. As of Wednesday, July 24, 3:00 PM EST, Reload boasts 238,000 players, Zero Build has 242,600, and Battle Royale leads with 305,900. Despite its decline in vote preference, Battle Royale still reigns supreme in player numbers. Fortnite is navigating choppy waters. Fans are criticizing the user interface as “bad”, and slamming the Summer Road Trip quests for requiring party play. That said, the Pirates of the Caribbean collab, Cursed Sails, gave players lots of pirate content to enjoy. This includes pirate pistols, pirate cannons, and four NPCs from the Disney movie franchise. The constant updates and new content may be what keeps the high player count coming back to Battle Royale, even if the polls say otherwise.

Fortnite poll about the current state of the game provides some concerning results – Dexerto
Fortnite poll about the current state of the game provides some concerning results Fortnite exploded in popularity during 2018 to become one of most played games in the world, but it seems that fans opinions on the battle royale franchise are souring, according to a new poll. Epic Games continue to see massive growth from Fortnite Battle Royale, with Epic Games Korea CEO Sung Chul Park recently revealing that the game averages a massive 8.3 million concurrent players worldwide. However, some decisions made by the developer have left fans unhappy, and a poll carried out by Team SoloMid pro player Daequan ‘Daequan’ Loco suggests Fortnite players are not enjoying the current state of the game. Fortnite Battle Royale has become a pop culture phenomenon since its release in September 2017. The poll, posted on Sunday, November 18 asked players if “the current state of Fortnite is more or less fun” to them, with some shocking results. At the end of the 24 hour poll, only 16% of Fortnite fans who voted said they felt like the current state of Fortnite was more fun than previous variations, with an enormous 84% stating that they felt the game had become less fun. Is the current state of Fortnite more or less fun to you? — Daequan (@TSM_Daequan) November 18, 2018 Fortnite fans have been voicing their frustration at the addition and subsequent removal of Glider Redeploy, a system that allowed players to pull out their glider at any time and float around which caused a split in opinions amongst the community. The introduction of the new Mounted Turret item has also infuriated fans of the title, with pro players like 100 Thieves member Parallax calling for the item to be removed from the game and placed in the vault due to it’s incredible power, and the difficulty players have shooting enemies who are using it. Due to the poll being created on an open platform like Twitter, there’s no way to verify that those who voted are actually people who play Fortnite, but it still provides a fascinating insight into opinions on the current state of the game.

Fortnite players wowed by “sick” detail from Dr. Vinderbot skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players wowed by “sick” detail from Dr. Vinderbot skin Epic GamesThe Dr. Vinderbot skin from the latest Save the World pack has a certain “sick” and “cool” detail that caught players off guard. Since Fortnite‘s first ever collab with Marvel in 2018, the game has become a massive pop culture phenomenon, featuring anime characters, TV shows, movies, and real-life celebrities in the game’s Battle Royale island. With so many IPs, it’s always exciting to guess what other crossover Fortnite plans to bring. And despite them mostly being a welcome addition, it’s no secret that original skins from the game remain to occupy the hearts of some players. Recently, Fortnite has also released another lore-related original skin; this time, it’s none other than Dr. Vinderbot. For the uninitiated, Dr. Vinderbot is essentially the AI form of Dr. Vinderman, one of the game’s key characters. As an AI character, the skin features a holographic-like face and hair, which some players find pretty cool. However, as it turns out, there is another interesting detail that further complements its artificial-like appearance. A player has pointed out in a Reddit thread that when you get knocked using this skin, the hologram on his face and hair disappears. This discovery has certainly caught most players off guard, and some of them even claimed it looked “really cool.” “Honestly if that’s his intended design, it is cool since he is an A.I being damaged,” one person wrote. “That’s actually a really cool detail. Definitely worth grabbing,” praised another player. In a separate X post showcasing the same detail on this skin, one user showed that Dr. Vinderbot’s holographic face and hair flicker back up when revived. Following this, one user commented, “OK, THAT’S SICK.” Overall, players seem to love this detail making it seem like he “turned off” when getting downed. Certain cosmetics in Fortnite do feature extra animations, but this is arguably one of the coolest-looking ones.

Fortnite Polar Legends Pack leaked: Release date and price – Dexerto
Fortnite Polar Legends Pack leaked: Release date and price A new skins bundle has been leaked for Fortnite Battle Royale, called the Polar Legends pack, featuring multiple new skins for the holiday season. Originally leaked on December 12, the Polar Legends pack now has a confirmed release date thanks to data miners, as well as the price you can expect to pay. This is the third ‘legends’ pack released in Fortnite’s history, following up the Lava Legends and Frozen legends. These packs typically include some of the most popular skins in new styles. The Polar Legends Pack is a very generous bundle, with a total of four skins: Frozen Nog Ops, Frozen Fishtick, Codename E.L.F and The Devourer (a.k.a the Monster from previous seasons). That’s not all either, as there’s also three backblings and an exclusive emote for The Devourer. Some players may notice that the Codename E.L.F skin was already in the game, but for players who already have it, Epic is giving 1,200 V-Bucks instead, if you buy the pack. Polar Legends pack release date and price The Polar Legends pack will be available on December 23, 2019, and will cost $24.99. As mentioned, if you already own the Codename E.L.F skin, you will receive 1,200 V-Bucks instead, as revealed by leaker HYPEX. If you already own the ELF skin and buy the new pack which comes out on December 23, you get 1200 vbucks with it! Fortnite players wowed by “sick” Chapter 5 Season 2 mythic weapon feature – Dexerto
Fortnite players wowed by “sick” Chapter 5 Season 2 mythic weapon feature Epic GamesOne of the latest weapons added to Chapter 5 Season 2 in Fortnite has a “sick” feature that the majority of players seem to love. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 may have had a rocky start at launch, with the game reaching a whopping 19 hours of downtime, along with some pretty rough queue times within the first few hours. However, now that the new season is finally here, players can rejoice as they’re able to jump into the game and experience all the new exciting Greek Mythology-inspired skins, weapons, POIs, and so much more. Now, thanks to the all-new Thunderbolt of Zeus mythic, fights on the island seem more intense, as players can now leap briefly into the air and literally zap their enemies with lightning. Aside from its arguably cool factor, however, it turns out there’s a small detail that players seem to love about this weapon. Apparently, when you look close enough, you’ll be able to see your enemy turn into a skeleton when they’re hit with lightning. This discovery was shared in an X post, and so far, the majority of players seem to love this feature. One person wrote: “That’s so sick” while other players claimed that this is “cool” and “funny.” “Help. Epic really went into full detail this season,” praised one user. “This is why I love Fortnite so many funny details,” another chimed in. Ultimately, the comments led to some players wondering whether or not this is the case when it comes to certain “unique” skins that are non-human. “Now I need to know if skins like Ripley have no bones, Tsuki has a chassis instead, Xenomorph has an elongated skull, and so on. In all seriousness though, I seriously doubt it, as that would be quite a lot of effort,” one of them wrote. Fortunately, Fortnite has a replay feature players can use to watch past matches in the game. So, that’s one way to check if this detail is present in other skins.

Fortnite players want to trade skins like Counter-Strike but will it ever happen? Epic GamesFortnite players have demanded that Epic Games introduce skin trading for some time now, especially since games like Counter-Strike have it, but will it ever be implemented? Counter-Strike is one of the few games that allows players to trade cosmetic items, allowing people to min/max their item collection to get the exact skins that they want. However, plenty of other games strongly disagree with the idea of skin trading, like Apex Legends which requires players to personally buy all 24 items in limited events to earn special cosmetics. This is frustrating for players, especially in the case of Fortnite where the shop refreshes constantly and there are some skins that you can only purchase for a limited time – such as the Travis Scott skin. This can even lead to some people buying whole accounts in order to get the skins they want. So, Fortnite players demanded that Epic Games introduce skin trading to the game, similar to CS, but will it ever happen? However, there is likely a good reason that Epic Games hasn’t introduced skin trading in Fortnite already, despite the fact that it would make the player base very happy. Having skins in the store for a limited time generates hype for the cosmetics and also gives players FOMO (the fear of missing out), therefore likely increasing the amount of sales Epic Games makes on the skin. Furthermore, if players can just trade for the skins they want and not have to buy them, then Epic Games doesn’t benefit in the slightest from the exchange, whereas if both the players are forced to buy the skins they want then Epic have made two extra sales. So, it is highly unlikely that skin trading will be introduced anytime soon, but this hasn’t dampened the community’s demands. “I feel like trading really needs to happen in Fortnite. There are a lot of kids finding themselves buying accounts just to get the skins they’ve missed out on instead of getting skins normally. kids want skins like Darth Vader, Spider-Man, Travis Scott and Kratos. locking them away forever is crazy,” complained the original poster. “The fact that a character as iconic as Darth Vader was locked in a battle pass and is never buyable again seems extremely silly to me,” agreed another. So, for the time being, players will just have to wait for the skins they want to return to the store – and luckily for some, rumors point towards Young Kratos returning.

Fortnite players who reach level 100 will now get special rewards – Dexerto
Fortnite players who reach level 100 will now get special rewards If you are one of those Fortnite players who simply cannot get enough of the game, your countless hours put in will reap you a unique set of rewards, once you hit level 100. It appears that developers Epic Games have heard the requests from fans for level 100 rewards, giving an extra incentive to go for that final push, even when you have unlocked all of the battle pass skins and gear. With the v6.20 update going live on October 24, the data miners got to work digging through the files, and came across three new items which appear to be specifically made for players who hit 100. With Season 6 well underway, and the Fortnitemares event now live, there is a lot to play for this season, and so there is no better time to grind away up to hitting max level and getting these rewards. Data miner and YouTuber @HYPEX discovered the three new items – a banner, a spray and an emoji, which will all presumably be unlocked upon hitting 100. What we don’t know is whether these rewards will be for Season 6 or for a future season, but considering they have been added in the v6.20 update, it is likely for Season 6. Fortnite Update V6.20 patch notes: New Six Shooter weapon, Fortnitemares, Pumpkin Launcher and more Epic Games is clearly trying to ensure there is plenty of fresh content and incentive to keep playing over the Fall and Holiday period, especially with lots of other popular games releasing now and in the next two months. If you have never tried getting to level 100 before, this season might be the best time.

Fortnite players want to see one major change made to the X-4 Stormwing plane – Dexerto
Fortnite players want to see one major change made to the X-4 Stormwing plane Epic GamesThe addition of the X-4 Stormwing plane to Fortnite Battle Royale is an exciting one, but some players are already beginning to ask for some major changes to the way that the vehicle works. The Stormwing was added to the game as a part of the massive v7.00 update on December 6 that marked the start of Season 7 and aerial vehicle is already providing some exciting gameplay. However, one major complaint from casual and competitive fans alike is that there is currently no penalty for being inside the plane when it explodes – meaning that there are very risks to using it. “I don’t know about you guys, but I hate when people fly planes and I shoot them out and they just glide down without any damage,” said ‘nkrog21’ on Reddit. “I think they should be able to still glide down, but maybe take 50 damage for being in the plane as it blows up? What do you guys think?” Another user, ‘Undeity’, suggested that the destruction of the plane should be turned into a proper explosion that kills anyone affected – opening up the possibility for kamikaze tactics! Nicholas ‘Zoof’ Zufan, a professional player for Cloud9, echoed the sentiments of nkrog21 in a separate Reddit thread, saying: “Planes are obviously very good for rotations and I feel so far they are free rotations. Would it be a bad idea to take some damage if you’re inside a plane when it breaks? I personally think there needs to be some risk when using one to rotate.” In response, ‘zieberry’ suggested a simple but effective answer to all the complaints: “There should be an explosion when it breaks that does ~50 damage to everyone on board.” It will be interesting to see whether Epic Games decide to act upon any of the initial feedback about the Stormwing or wait until it has been in the game a while longer before making any changes.

Fortnite players want Sonic to drop in next as “perfect” concept goes viral – Dexerto
Fortnite players want Sonic to drop in next as “perfect” concept goes viral SegaHave you ever wondered what Sonic would look like if he were to join Fortnite? This creator’s skin concept lets fans get a glimpse of the iconic blue hedgehog in “perfect” Fortnite proportions. Fortnite’s collaboration with different games, movies, TV series, celebrities, anime, and pop culture icons has undeniably become a major part of what makes the Battle Royale exciting. This current chapter, in particular, has brought a swole version of Peter Griffin to the island, which became a hit among fans and even the creator himself. As the cherry on top, Eminem and The Weeknd have also joined the Item Shop of late, adding to the game’s ever-growing list of collab skins. While Epic is known to give out skin surveys for players to vote on which skins they’d like to see next, it doesn’t stop them from coming up with their own ideas. One artist has designed a concept featuring a Sonic skin that caught the community’s attention. The Sonic skin concept was shared by the HYPEX account on X, which credited WrenchMaster4 for their original concept. It showcased the popular Sonic the Hedgehog character reimagined in “perfect” Fortnite proportions. Similar to many anime and TV show character skins in Fortnite, the Sonic skin has received some tweaks on its model to fit in with most in-game models. Needless to say, fans of the iconic blue hedgehog are begging Epic to add this skin into the game. “EPIC DO IT PLEASE,” one player commented, which seems to represent a chunk of the reply thread. Meanwhile, another user mentioned, “100% imagine the mythic item.” One of the responses suggested something like Groot’s Bramble Shield from Chapter 2, Season 4 would go well with this collab, considering it allows players to roll into a ball and travel faster than usual for a short time. That said, despite receiving positive feedback, it’s clear that some fans felt dissatisfied with the result. Some users pointed out that the model looks too tall and stretched, which is arguably a problem with some crossover skins in Fortnite. Other users think if Fortnite brings this skin to the game, it’ll likely get the same treatment as the Dragon Ball skins or something similar to Mecha Morty. Looking at recent collabs, it’d be interesting to see how Fortnite would incorporate this crossover into the game.

Fortnite players want the Lightsaber Mythic as a new pickaxe – Dexerto
Fortnite players want the Lightsaber Mythic as a new pickaxe Epic GamesThe latest Star Wars crossover event in Fortnite has brought Lightsaber weapons back to the battle royale, but some players aren’t happy about the fact that Lightsabers aren’t provided as pickaxes for these classic Star Wars characters. Since the release of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, there have been a few collaborations between the Star Wars franchise and Fortnite. Lightsabers were initially presented to fans as a Mythic melee weapon in the game during the first ever crossover. Since then, new Star Wars characters have been added as skins to the game each year. The most recent update added four new skins to the game: Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, and Clone Troopers from the Prequel Trilogy films. Players were hoping that these skins would finally include Lightsabers as pickaxes (also known as harvesting tools), but that is not the case. The result was a massive outpouring of player feedback across all social media platforms. Fortnite players are unhappy with Lightsabers not being pickaxes As part of the new Star Wars crossover in the game, players can once again obtain Lightsabers as melee weapons by talking to Star Wars characters around the map. But after the recent release of Darth Maul and Anakin Skywalker skins, many players were hoping that the iconic Lightsabers would also be available as pickaxes for these characters. On the Fortnite subreddit, one player shared an image of the latest pickaxe that comes with Anakin’s cosmetic set and expressed their disappointment with it, writing: “Epic is really gonna give us everything BUT the lightsaber pickaxe.” One user responded to the first post with, “Yes, the famous…… what the hell is this even supposed to be… from the movies,” indicating that they did not recognize the pickaxe from the films; another user then explained that it is a useful tool used to repair devices in the Star Wars world. One Reddit member provided a different point of view by saying: “Tbh the lightsaber weapons being free probably brings more folks in that’ll buy skins, than it will bring in folks to buy lightsabers from the shop.” Players could now see how Epic shrewdly played a card to provide fans of the film franchise access to the Mythic weapon in-game without requiring them to pay V-Bucks on it. With several Star Wars collaborations now under their belt, it’s certainly feeling like the long-awaited Lightsaber pickaxe will never become a reality.

Fortnite players want simple Car mechanic for safer revives – Dexerto
Fortnite players want simple Car mechanic for safer revives Epic GamesThere’s plenty of hectic moments in Fortnite that can happen on a dime, so players want a handy mechanic with cars – namely the Bear pickup truck – to make clutch revives much easier. It’s easy to get overwhelmed on Fortnite’s island, especially when you get third-partied or if build battles start to get out of hand. That’s why it’s always best to have an exit strategy, which could make cars the perfect tool to have. In other battle royales like Warzone, we’ve seen how vehicles can be used to make last-ditch escapes – even if they’re working in ways that the devs didn’t quite intend. That’s essentially what Fortnite players think could be good to include in Epic’s battle royale, especially since the game added in cars a few seasons ago. “Here’s a thought: when a player is knocked, you can throw them in the back of a pick-up truck to bring them to safety before reviving them,” Reddit user ‘NitroDameGaming’ thought. It would be a novel idea, and more players were liking the sound of it. Read more: When is Lady Gaga coming to Fortnite? – “Good idea. Currently one similar way to do it is using the UFO’s abducting ability. More vehicles should be able to do this,” another person said. Others explained how people tend to get flung off the car once someone gets in, so there’d have to be an update to that to make the idea work. Still, there were other community members saying “this should absolutely be a feature,” while others even expanded on the idea. “If a player is in a vehicle they should just slump over out the window or fall over in the spot they stand in to revive them, and let the downed player get out of the car if they want to,” user ‘AlligatorBagel’ said. It would be a fun game mechanic to play around with, and players certainly gave Epic a ton of ideas to improve on Fortnite’s vehicles.

Fortnite players want one feature added to fix Reload mode’s biggest issue – Dexerto
Fortnite players want one feature added to fix Reload mode’s biggest issue Epic GamesFortnite players are fed up with this particular issue ruining their experience in Reload, leaving them to suggest a certain feature to be implemented in the game. Fortnite Reload quickly rose in terms of concurrent players as soon as it was introduced in Chapter 5, Season 3. With classic POIs and OG weapons returning to the game, many have praised the mode as it gives an exciting, fresh experience amidst the current meta in the standard BR modes. While it’s definitely a welcome addition in the community, the mode is not without its own fair share of issues, and leavers are a major one. Players have now taken their frustration to a Reddit thread to claim that these kinds of players are making it hard to enjoy the experience. This is mainly because, unlike Battle Royale and Zero Build, Fortnite Reload allows you to respawn repeatedly until a certain point. Hence, some players argued that leaving is unnecessary and should be penalized as it puts the team at a huge disadvantage. One user wrote, “So many kids will run into the middle of a named location, immediately get downed and executed, then start screaming their teammate is trash. By the second time this happens, they’re out.” Regarding the issue, other users in the comments suggested ways Epic could implement a feature to keep players from leaving. “A quick 10-15 minute ban would solve this problem. Also, if one person leaves, all should be able to leave. Just like DOTA,” commented one player. In response, another mentioned that a “leavers ban” should be implemented anyway, before adding that while it “isn’t foolproof” it would help “mitigate” early leavers. As for players who unintentionally leave due to a poor internet connection, one player claimed that the “easy solution is to make it metered.” They explained that leaving multiple times, even if it’s due to network issues, “makes sense” since “you’re constantly dragging everybody else down with you anyway.” Seeing how popular Fortnite Reload is and how devs have been listening to feedback so far, there’s a chance the mode will get tweaks for a smoother experience.

Fortnite players want playlist feature from Overwatch & Apex Legends – Dexerto
Fortnite players want playlist feature from Overwatch & Apex Legends Epic Games / Respawn Entertainment / BlizzardFortnite players are asking for a playlist feature update to the battle royale that would provide input-based matchmaking seen in games like Apex Legends and Overwatch. Without getting into volatile controller vs mouse and keyboard discussions, sometimes controller players want to play with others in the console community to avoid overwhelming lobbies. Experienced mouse and keyboard players can use weapons and maneuver in Fortnite a lot more fluidly than casual players might be used to. Other game devs have picked up on this, which could explain why different input playlists exist for controller players, MnK, and a hybrid of the two. Even new releases like Halo Infinite have implemented these kinds of separations for the sake of competitive integrity and, in some cases, simply to keep games fun. Fortnite players want input-based matchmaking One Fortnite player showed just how horrifying it can look like to just keep up with cracked PC players and is asking for Epic to make console-only servers. “Please can we have console only servers or a cross play on/off button?” Redditor ‘1MrNewton_IG’ said. “How am I supposed to keep up with people like this every game?” Read more: Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 FNCS – More console players joined in on raising calls for input-based matchmaking that could help players engaged with the game. “Console and PC should [never] be in the same lobbies unless both parties agree to such terms,” another player said. “Aside from inputs, there are other big advantages to playing on PC such as FPS and performance mode… I play both console and pc and can confirm it is not even close to fair.” Though there are limited options for these kinds of lobbies on Xbox, that usually leads to much longer queue times which hardly makes it worth it. Read more: How to watch Fortnite Streamer Bowl 3 – Fortnite players hope that Epic bring input-based matchmaking in some capacity soon to enable people who want to jump into a few casual games and avoid the sweats on other platforms.

Fortnite players want “frustrating” Chapter 5 reloading mechanic gone forever – Dexerto
Fortnite players want “frustrating” Chapter 5 reloading mechanic gone forever Epic GamesFortnite players are frustrated with the reloading mechanic in Chapter 5, claiming that with the addition of magazine modification base reloading has been changed. Epic Games has made changes to Fortnite Battle Royale mechanics that have been considered controversial in the past. In Chapter 5 Season 1 players have been complaining about a lot of the changes, like the graphics overhaul to movement that fans considered to be “janky“. However, Epic Games was responsive to player complaints, with the developers releasing a tweet letting players know why it might feel weird. Now, players have started to notice another mechanic that feels wrong, reloading, and demand that Epic Games address the reloading mechanic too. Fortnite players convinced reloading is bugged One player was fed up with problems with the reload animation and timer, posting their frustrating experiences to social media. “Is the reloading mechanic frustratingly long this season?” they asked the rest of the Fortnite community. They continued to say that they were “flabbergasted” by the reload times this season, specifically remembering a time when they “literally got to the part of the animation where I was putting the gun back into normal position,” then they mantled a fence and reload got canceled. But other Fortnite players assured the original poster that they weren’t going crazy. “Yea, it doesn’t finish reloading when it said it does. That’s why you use a speed mag. Infinitely better than the drum,” one said. “Exactly this,” another person agreed with the complaints. “They changed the graphic of the reload timer. So if you’re used to the pre-chapter 5 way you’ll always be a fraction early and thereby canceling the reload.” However, while other players also encountered the issue, they didn’t take the change as badly as others and found it as an opportunity for some funny teamwork. “Myself and the crew I play with have gotten into the habit of randomly calling out “reload check” multiple times throughout the match. Often followed by the sounds of many guns being reloaded and several laughs and thank yous,” one fan said. Fortnite players want OG graphics back after “bland and boring” Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite players want OG graphics back after “bland and boring” Chapter 5 Epic GamesFortnite players are disappointed by Epic Games’ decision to downgrade the graphics and lighting quality in Chapter 5. Fortnite made many changes when starting Chapter 5, including introducing weapon mods, movement mechanics, and a new engine powering it all. After moving to Unreal Engine 5, the game received major quality changes, which weren’t necessarily for the best. Players quickly took issue with the newly reworked movement mechanics. Now that Chapter 5 is well underway, players have started to miss how the game used to be. One of the most noticeable changes made to Fortnite was the lighting and graphics effects. A user of Reddit posted pictures of what the game used to look like from Chapter 4. Chapter 4 was much brighter and more vibrant than Chapter 5, which has some players comparing the look we have now to something from a Call of Duty game. Some players felt that the current Chapter was “more serious” than previous editions, which sucked the life out of what the game was really about in their eyes. “Chapter 4 honestly is the most beautiful combination of lighting and map design. It just fit together so well to create a detailed but still cartoony look.” explained one Redditor. But not everyone had negative things to say about the changes made to Fortnite’s new graphics change. While Chapter 4 paid more attention to color and lighting, some players still enjoy the look of Chapter 5 due to upgrades to its lighting and rendering systems. This may be a case of Chapter 4’s art direction being preferred over Chapter 5’s raw graphical horsepower. “Chapter 4 looked WAY better than Chapter 5. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the look of Chapter 5, but the way Chapter 4 looked was absolute perfection in my eyes.” said the top comment underneath the post. Epic Games recently revealed that they would be switching to UEFN, Unreal Engine with customizations to support Fortnite content creation, for Chapter 6. With the hope that UEFN will become the basis of all Fortnite content, including creative islands, alternative game modes, and more. An entire Chapter has not yet been built on UEFN, meaning there could still be hope for the return of the once vibrant and stunning Fortnite graphics. But only time will tell if the game will return to its beloved style.

Fortnite players want Epic to add a “Museum” POI where they can relive past seasons – Dexerto
Fortnite players want Epic to add a “Museum” POI where they can relive past seasons Epic Games / URIANTHONYFortnite players have shared a genius new ‘Museum’ idea to bring all of Epic’s most iconic battle royale items, locations, and experiences all under one roof. Fortnite has been the hottest battle royale on the market for almost four years now. Throughout its time as one of the most popular titles, the game has changed a great deal and players have experienced all sorts of new content with each season. From weapons and equipment to entirely new locations and of course, the limited-time events, Epic is always looking to shake things up. But what about players who miss certain periods or veterans that simply want to relive their version of the good old days? Rather than separating the player base into different modes or scaling the game back in time, Reddit user ‘Agoevan05’ has a simpler idea. ‘The Fortnite Museum’ could be just what the game needs moving forwards. This new Point of Interest in the Party Royale mode could serve as a hub for content through the ages. Whether it’s a weapon from the very first season of Fortnite or a vehicle that we haven’t seen in years, it could all be on display in Fortnite’s very own museum. Some sections of this location would purely be for soaking up information. You might only be able to look at and read up on certain items. Though there could be other areas that allow for a deeper level of interaction. One suggestion is to have a functioning cinema that replays events from previous seasons. As most major events only take place once, millions of players miss out on these game-changing experiences. Rather than looking up videos after the fact, this cinema could bring players together to watch the spectacle in-game. Another feature could be a model of Fortnite’s map. This would let players view long-gone POIs and zoom in for an overview of what made each season special. While it might sound like a gimmick that daily players would rarely visit, a museum would serve as a fantastic way to preserve Fortnite’s history. Taking a trip down memory lane and being able to interact with classic items at any time could just reignite that spark for older players too. It’s purely an idea for the time being, but there’s no denying this POI would be a perfect fit for Fortnite’s Party Royale

Fortnite players want custom Magma Peely concept in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite players want custom Magma Peely concept in-game Epic GamesPeely is one of Fortnite’s most beloved characters and this player’s concept for a Magma variant is gaining a lot of traction, with players hopeful it appears in-game. Since its introduction in the Season 8 Fortnite battle pass, Peely’s been a hot commodity for players. What started as the lovable banana skin has evolved as Peely’s in-game legend grows to take on many shapes, such as the robot form or even the all-gold Peely. As with most of Fortnite’s characters and crossovers, players have shared their concepts of new cosmetics they’d love to see for fan favorites. Peely is no different, with plenty of Reddit threads creating unique concepts like Buff Peely. Another concept has come forth, this time making Peely feel the heat. Fortnite player shares Magma Peely concept Shared in a rather heartwarming message to the FortniteBattleRoyale subreddit, Logansmotions14 showed their concept for a new Peely skin. They call it “Magma Peely,” as seen with the reddish color scheme and bearing lava cracks seen in volcanos. “Fortnite please make Magama Peely as a Fortnite skin,” they said. “I would really appreciate it,” Logan concluded. Player support flooded in, all sharing how much they liked the idea. “Nice concept. I’m surprised that we don’t have one yet,” one player commented. Another said: “A super concept I have not seen before. Great job!!” While a few others questioned the practicality of the skin, others pointed out Fortnite had a Lava Legends pack with a similar theme. Maybe Epic Games will revisit that pack to include this version of Peely in future updates.

Fortnite players want Epic Games to copy Warzone sniping feature – Dexerto
Fortnite players want Epic Games to copy Warzone sniping feature Epic GamesFortnite players have called for Epic Games to imitate a sniping feature prominent in Call of Duty battle royale title Warzone following the launch of Chapter 2, Season 3. For many battle royale players, Fortnite was their first exposure to the genre, having to fight off 99 enemies to be granted a victory royale. Since then, though, there has been a flurry of new battle royale games arrive on the scene, with the likes of Apex Legends and Warzone being some of the biggest competition to Fortnite’s claim to the top of the BR throne. That said, though, Fortnite has implemented a number of features that seem to be taken straight from its rivals, such as the reboot van which came to the game shortly after Apex Legends’ release, which has a similar feature with the respawn beacon. Now, players are calling for Epic Games to take a feature from Warzone to make sniping a little harder – and countering snipers a lot more rewarding. Fortnite player stormcaller_op has called for Epic Games to bring lens flares to the game, leaving snipers with a glint at the end of their barrel when aiming down sights. Stormcaller says that a big argument against snipers in Fortnite is that you can simply be shot and eliminated out of nowhere, and they think that a sniper scope glint could be the perfect middle-ground. Their argument is that this would help let players know when they can peek opponents, with the ability to play around the knowledge you gain if you see a glint facing your way while traversing the map. As one commenter suggests, a lens flare or glint provides a higher risk and reward for players on either side of the scope in Warzone, and this would ring true in Fortnite, too. Whether or not this is something Epic Games looks at and takes interest in is another question, but for now, a lens glint doesn’t seem to be in the works in Fortnite.

Fortnite players want a UFO nerf already – Dexerto
Fortnite players want a UFO nerf already Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has introduced plenty of sci-fi content to the battle royale, but one of the most divisive additions is the new UFOs that are causing havoc around the map. Just like every new update, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has brought with it loads of new content for fans to sink their teeth into. While the previous patch gave prehistoric-themed loot, the latest update has taken us to the stars and given Fortnite fans futuristic tech to use against their foes. From extraterrestrial weapons that melt through structures to various map updates, there has never been a better time to dive back into the action. Despite the general positivity surrounding the game’s latest update, many players believe the new UFO aircrafts are a little too potent. This is particularly true when facing them in the final ring. Not only do they have the ability to destroy structures, but they can also quickly reposition, and pick off enemies safely from after. Fortnite fans call for UFO nerfs After coming across two UFOs in the final ring, Reddit user seanboi2278 desperately tried to build up his defense. However, every time the player made his fortifications, they were quickly whittled down with the deadly AoE blasts from the enemy UFOs. “Three people left, the last two are both spamming me with the UFO, wtf can I even do here?” If having one UFO targeting you wasn’t bad enough, the player found themself in an unwinnable situation. With only 52 health remaining and no time to heal, seanboi2278’s foes simply barraged his structures until he crumbled along with them. While the UFOs can be destroyed, taking them down can prove pretty tricky, especially given that they have 600 health. “Yeah I dunno, I feel like they need to stop the knockback on the projectiles and make the splash smaller,” says SlightlyStooqib1419. “I’m not sure how they could logically nerf them without making them absolutely horrible.” However, the current consensus certainly seems to be that Epic should consider nerfing the fire rate of the UFOs, which would enable players to counter the near-constant barrage of blasts. Unless you have a Rail Gun, there are very few ways to deal with the extraterrestrial spaceships that dominate the skies. Whether Epic will nerf UFOs in a future patch remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like Fortnite players will have to get creative with their counters.

Fortnite players use Warzone logic to solve Fortnite Reload solo queue issue – Dexerto
Fortnite players use Warzone logic to solve Fortnite Reload solo queue issue Epic GamesFortnite players have been trying to conceptualize a way to bring a Solos queue to Fortnite Reload, and believe they can use Call of Duty: Warzone as inspiration. Introduced on June 22, Fortnite Reload surpassed all other modes in player count, including Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and both Battle Royale game modes. While the mode’s success was clear, one hiccup still needed to be addressed: at launch, Fortnite Reload was only playable in squads. This left many without a team to play with. The game’s concept allows players to respawn indefinitely if a teammate is still alive, making adding a solo mode challenging. Without a teammate to keep you alive, how would respawning work? Several Fortnite players turned to Reddit to discuss a potential solution for the lack of a solo queue in Fortnite Reload. One of the top comments pointed out that since Fortnite Reload draws inspiration from Warzone, it might be feasible to adapt Warzone’s solo mechanics to Fortnite. The suggestion involved implementing a timer system, as proposed by the original poster. “Everyone spawns in with the timer fully completed, meaning that when they die, they will instantly respawn back. Once respawning, the timer begins counting down and can be made faster by opening crates or downing players. “The timer also begins at 15 seconds and then increases as the game goes on… It promotes aggressive plays while the other system forces people to play safer during their timer,” said the top comment. Despite the option of filling squads, players expressed a strong desire for more queue types like duos, trios, and eventually solos. In response to this feedback, Fortnite is releasing a queue for Reload duos on June 27. It is rumored that a trios mode could be on the horizon for Fortnite Reload, but there has been little talk of when, or if, solos would ever be possible.

Fortnite players vow not to complain about skin prices after comparing to Apex and SF6 – Dexerto
Fortnite players vow not to complain about skin prices after comparing to Apex and SF6 Epic GamesApex Legends and Street Fighter 6 are in hot water due to their cosmetic prices, and one player made sure to never complain about Fortnite’s structure again. Since its shift to hyper-focusing on the battle royale portion, Fortnite has dominated the gaming industry with incredible crossovers and in-game cosmetics. From John Wick to Peter Griffin, nearly every iconic character has some form of presence in the game. In light of Fortnite’s reach, many similarly minded titles have tried their own forms of crossovers to varying levels of success: for example, Call of Duty’s Attack on Titan-themed skins or the Godzilla vs. Kong event. Apex Legends and Street Fighter 6 currently find themselves in the crossover mix, although the implementation of said crossovers has left fans fuming. Fortnite players slam Apex Legends and SF6 crossovers Quick recap for those who’ve missed it, both Apex Legends and SF6 are in varying forms of hot water. Apex Legends’s Final Fantasy 7 crossover event is receiving tons of flack due to the pricing structure of the event. Essentially, you have to dish out $300 to get every event-themed cosmetic. On the other hand, SF6 is on the hot seat since the long-awaited Spy x Family crossover is just avatar skins, nothing for the actual characters. The wave of controversy has reached every inch of the internet, including the Fortnite player base. In an appreciation tweet, Twitter/X user JoJoJosiah_ shared how grateful they were at how Fortnite handles cosmetics. When it comes to in-game pricing, Fortnite sort of opened the door for companies to test the limits of what players will spend, with games like Valorant and Overwatch 2 testing the limits of player spending. The replies were quick to agree with JoJoJosiah_’s post citing how ridiculous the prices are in Apex and SF6. “Like 350 dollars for an in-game cosmetic is insane,” one user replied. While it may seem a little bit of “the pot calling the kettle black,” one response perfectly summed up the problem: “The fact that the TMNT are actually cheaper to get in Fortnite (a free game) than they are in SF6 (a $60 game) is just baffling to me.” The previous response also highlights the fact the SF6 avatar skins are only visible in certain modes, making the purchase feel underwhelming.

Fortnite players upset as Epic removes forced bot lobbies from Season OG – Dexerto
Fortnite players upset as Epic removes forced bot lobbies from Season OG Epic GamesPlayers are outraged that Epic Games has taken away a key workaround that the Fortnite community relied on to win Battle Royale matches. The rumored fix with forced bot lobbies arrives in the middle of Season OG, one of the most popular seasons of the game, and thus alters the way that casual players approach the game. Here are their reactions. Bot lobbies in Fortnite are a double-edged sword. Some players can benefit from them by improving their skills and experiencing less stress, but there is also a risk of exploiting the system. These bots are designed to act in ways that are similar to human players, such as building structures and engaging in battle. Nonetheless, they typically lack the competence and predictability of human opponents. Players either prefer to use bots to join forced bot lobbies or are automatically booted into one, depending upon their skill level. With the launch of Fortnite Season OG and a Battle Pass consisting of just 50 levels to complete, players have been using forced bot lobbies to level up faster. However, Epic Games has now allegedly stepped in and removed forced bot lobbies from Season OG which has now upset the player base. Here’s what they said. Fortnite Season OG players upset over bot lobbies removal According to NotJulesDev and TigerHypex, renowned Fortnite data miners, Epic has now removed forced bot lobbies from the game, an exploit players used to load into an AI lobby to win games. The fix now restricts users from doing so and only loads newly created accounts into bot lobbies to aid them in getting better at the game. However, players who previously enjoyed the exploit were upset due to the change. One such user said, “Oh come on, I was having fun”. Another chimed in, “Idk why Epic [doesn’t] just create a legit bot mode where you can do quests.” A third commented, “Wish they’d just nuke the bots and get rid of them.” While the discussion of having bots in a Battle Royale game has been ongoing for ages, Fortnite Season OG players are now hoping to spend the rest of their days with the Chapter 1 map in peace.

Fortnite players urged to avoid Wings of Icarus after key weakness exposed – Dexerto
Fortnite players urged to avoid Wings of Icarus after key weakness exposed Epic GamesFortnite players are urging others to not use the new Wings of Icarus after a huge weakness in its hitbox was highlighted. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is now live, and with it comes a plethora of new content. From new weapons and skins, a new battle pass, and of course a long-awaited collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender. And with all the new content, the new Mythic weapons have been put under particular focus for players, especially the new Wings of Icarus with it already getting a nerf days after its addition. Now players are urging others to avoid it entirely as a major weakness in its hitbox was highlighted, making it easy to die while mid-flight. Posted by a player on the Fortnite subreddit, they showcased a clip of them taking down an opponent using the Wings of Icarus by just shooting around them. “Guys, don’t use the Wings. This is what aim assist does to them, and I’m just hip firing,” the player warned in their caption. However, several players were confused by the clip, with one replying, “I don’t understand how this is just aim assist, I’m a controller player and I have never had aim assist like that.” Yet others were quick to realize it wasn’t just the aim assist, it was the fact the Wings of Icarus gives players a much bigger hitbox, making it easier to shoot flying players out of the sky. Pair that up with an opponent with good mechanical aim and it’s basically a near-guaranteed elimination on any player that is using the Wings of Icarus. “It extends your hitbox, doesn’t it? I noticed it was easier than it should be to get hits on people mid-flight. I also got lasered by a pistol from what should’ve been near impossible distance when I was using them,” explained another player about the wings’ increased hitbox.

Fortnite players uncover secret feature only Eminem skin can do – Dexerto
Fortnite players uncover secret feature only Eminem skin can do Epic GamesThe Eminem cosmetics have finally arrived at Fortnite with fans discovering a secret feature that only the Slim Shady skin can do. While players are thrilled about the recent collab, here’s what left them surprised about the skin. Epic Games have been pioneers in incorporating pop culture icons into their leading Battle Royale game Fortnite. The eagerly awaited Eminem skin allows players to embody the rap legend’s essence while traversing the Season OG island for one last time before the Big Bang live event. The iconic collaboration between Eminem and Epic Games has garnered global acclaim, generating a viral buzz around social media as both fans of the artist and players rushed to the Item Shop to grab the skins. On the other hand, a few players have figured out a way to use the Slim Shady collaboration skin that no other skin can match. The Slim Shady outfit is one of the three Eminem skins, so here’s what’s so different about this one and why fans are baffled about it. Fortnite players find secret lip-sync ability with Eminem’s Slim Shady skin According to several Fortnite players and data miners, they have now uncovered that the Slim Shady skin is the only outfit in the game that can lip-sync the new Real Slim Shady Icon series emote. If the same is performed by any other Fortnite skin, they won’t lip-sync the track, even Eminem’s Rap Boy and Marshall Never More outfits. Upon discovering the hidden feature, several players turned in their thoughts with one fan saying, “This is without a doubt the best thing they’ve put in Fortnite.” Another chimed in, “Stand up, real Slim Shady!” A third user added, “Eminem is so strong he is the only looper who can speak”. However, a fourth player argued by saying, “Why make an emote that can only be used on one skin?! Pathetic.” Eminem x Fortnite collaboration is now live in Fortnite and here’s everything you can get now in the Item Shop.

Fortnite players uncover “OP” item that stops fall damage in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite players uncover “OP” item that stops fall damage in Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite players have uncovered an OP item that prevents fall damage during matches in the newest Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 brings a lot of fresh content to the island that legacy players have been asking for. After a tiresome Season 1, players had high hopes for the current season as they believe Epic always delivers high-quality content with the second season in each chapter. This time around, the island inhabits the Greek Gods of Olympus and the Underworld with some godly new items and weapons that shift the tide of Battle Royale gameplay. These weapons and items can lead you to the glorious Victory Royale since they prove quite lethal when used on your opponents. While not all items are used to inflict damage, some provide a different kind of gameplay advantage that is highly useful during your time on the island. One such item has been deemed “OP,” or overpowered, by Fortnite players and is proven to stop fall damage. Fortnite players uncover “OP” Wings of Icarus prevent fall damage A Reddit user named KaktitsM shared their personal experience with the new Wings of Icarus item in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 and uncovered that the item prevents fall damage – even when not flying. This implies that even when you’re not flying or using the item, you’ll not inflict fall damage on yourself. While certain players were uncertain about it, those who tried and tested the claim shared their thoughts. One such player said: “Not only that but the wings act like a low gravity effect so if you equip them before jumping on a launchpad, you can launch really high.” Another chimed in: “They also make falling a little slower like the jump boost stuff” A third user mentioned another item with a similar advantage and commented: “You also can’t take fall damage while running with Zeus’s medallion.” A fourth one replied to that by saying: “Yeah, I experimented with a bunch of stuff to find this and OPs thing out. Just to clarify though, you have to be ‘sprinting’ aka using stamina for the Zeus medallion to negate fall damage before you exit off a ledge.”

Fortnite players uncover dark reason behind Supply Llamas disappearing – Dexerto
Fortnite players uncover dark reason behind Supply Llamas disappearing Epic Games/DexertoFortnite players are going wild over a disturbing detail in the Chapter 5 Season 4 promo art that shows the reason behind Supply Llamas’ sudden disappearance. Supply Llamas first popped up in Fortnite back in 2018 during Season 3. These colorful, piñata-shaped containers were rare, with only three randomly spawning on the island each match, and players could smash or shoot them open for loot. But in Chapter 5, something’s changed. In the promo art, featuring Marvel characters aiming at Doctor Doom, fans noticed him stepping over a Supply Llama. It might seem minor, but after two entire seasons without llamas, players are wondering if Doctor Doom is to blame for their extinction. Over on the Fortnite BR subreddit, one player joked, “So that’s why Llamas haven’t been in the past two seasons.” Others were shocked, thinking their dry spell in finding Supply Llamas was just bad luck. As one player shared “I’ve been playing this game for 4 years and I think I’ve seen like 8 llamas total.” But now, it seems, there may be a darker truth behind their absence. Some players blamed Dali, September’s Crew Pack skin from the Fuzzy Phenom set. With her llama-decorated coat and six variant styles, many joked she was the real reason the llamas disappeared. After all, she’s literally wearing more llamas than a single match could handle. However, some eagle-eyed players tried to debunk that theory and claimed to have spotted Supply Llamas in Fortnite’s Reload mode, which has nothing to do with the Doctor Doom or Marvel crossovers. While Doctor Doom might not be the most villainous antagonist in Fortnite history in some players’ eyes, he could very well be the one responsible for driving the Supply Llamas to extinction. And sitting on a throne made from the rocky remains of The Thing isn’t exactly a green flag either.

Fortnite players tired of “sweaty” skin meta in every ranked match – Dexerto
Fortnite players tired of “sweaty” skin meta in every ranked match Reddit: Ruby_101_Fortnite players are tired of encountering the same all-black skin in competitive Fortnite matches, synonymous with “sweaty” players. Fortnite players grow tired of encountering the same all-black skin in competitive matches, rumored to possess a smaller hitbox. Despite Fortnite’s emphasis on customization and collaboration skins, the infamous superhero skins dominate ranked play, sparking frustration among players. Players can purchase these skins from the Fortnite item shop, enabling them to customize the colors for the entire skin. This means that turning the skin all black makes it allegedly “thinner” and harder to see across the map. Fortnite players slam others for following “a trend” A Redditor created a post sharing a screenshot of one of their ranked play lobbies. In the lobby, there are a total of seven of the same all-black skin variations. With the exception of one lonely Fishstick skin in the background. “Imagine playing a game like Fortnite with an endless combination of cool ass cosmetics only to use the ugliest, most boring skin solely to maybe probably get a bit of advantage,” said one commenter. A majority of the comments commented on the comical instance of the Fishstick skin being the odd one out. Some even speculated that because the Fishstick skin wasn’t using the all-black skin, they would be the one to “pop off”. “I f*** hate the matte black/white superhero skins,” said another user. “Isn’t that meant to be an impossible combo anyway?” “They banned pure black and white, so people just do the darkest and lightest grey to basically achieve the same effect.” explained another in a reply. Since Epic Games have already nerfed the all-black and white skins in Battle Royle, there is likely little they can do to make the skins more visible. But for the time being, these superhero skins will continue to plague ranked lobbies.

Fortnite players uncover another overpowered feature of Mounted Turrets – Dexerto
Fortnite players uncover another overpowered feature of Mounted Turrets The Mounted Turrets have been the subject of much controversy and discussion since its release and it looks like players now have one more thing to talk about with a new discovery. Mounted Turrets were introduced to Fortnite with the v6.30 update and have cause many players to call for widespread fixes or the straight up removal of the item from the game. With no plans to vault the item have been revealed, it looks like there might be a new adjustment that needs to be made to the controversial item. It turns out that in addition to just be an overall oppressive force when used, it also completely protects the user from being targeted by aim assist. Reddit user ‘Mr_Dragzzz’ posted a short video demonstrating the discovery, as they try to target the player sitting in the Turret using aim assist without much success. Every time Mr_Dragzzz goes to aim at the opponent in the Turret, the aim assist snaps to the base of the turret, causing him to have to fight against the aim assist to actually get a shot off on the player. While one user in the comments to the post said that this sort of thing happens with all vehicles in Fortnite, it seems a bit odd given that the Mounted Turret is technically classified as a trap. Another user even pointed out the irony of the newly discovered issue, saying it’s “kinda ironic because aim assist is supposed to help [lead] you onto the enemy.” Given that Epic Games have already issued multiple updates to the Mounted Turret thus far, it wouldn’t be too much of a shock to see another adjustment come in the near future.

Fortnite players tired of Chapter 5 following the same “boring” cycle – Dexerto
Fortnite players tired of Chapter 5 following the same “boring” cycle Epic GamesThe Fortnite community has grown tired of every Season in Chapter 5 following the same patterns, despite Epic’s efforts to constantly shake the Battle Royale up with heaps of new content. Epic has added tons of new weapons, items, map changes, major collaborations, skins, lore, and seasonal events during Chapter 5. However, an increasing amount of players have still found it becoming stale. One player summed it up in a post titled: “I’m just getting a little tired of it is all,” which was presented with their view on how each Fortnite season carries out the same cycle. It centered around the idea that every season gets to a point where it feels “stale and boring.” Then, after Epic unleashes a brand-new weapon or item to shake up the meta, certain players or pros complain and it ultimately ends up with it getting nerfed, as the endless loop starts again. The poster highlighted the Nitro Fists weapon as an example of something they believed had fallen victim to community complaints. This launched with Chapter 5 Season 3, but was nerfed in a further mid-season patch update on May 30 to increase the recharge time. One player said, “I don’t understand the nerf on the fists. Why didn’t they just lessen the damage to players instead,” leading another to add, “The Fortnite community is just awful.” Other players suggested more dramatic solutions, with one saying, “Oh how easy it would be to please both types of players. If only this billion-dollar company could make two types of Battle Royales and give items in each mode different stats and abilities.” That prompted a user to reply, “Yep. Not only that, but this OP on release then nerf over time is what they’ve done for 7 years. It’s not ‘the sweats’ fault, it’s Epic doing what they think maximizes profit.” The Nitro cars were also struck with several nerfs, which has proved divisive among Fortnite players. Many felt the nerfs had ruined the experience, with one saying “They nerfed the cars into the absolute ground. Mythic car health is a joke.” Meanwhile, others flooded in to disagree, claiming “The cars are still as fun as they were before just less tankey.” This is not the first time the Fortnite community has been in uproar over weapons and items in the game being introduced and then suddenly nerfed. However, more players are becoming frustrated after seeing the pattern repeat itself during every new season in Chapter 5.

Fortnite players think TMNT update could be a whole game on its own – Dexerto
Fortnite players think TMNT update could be a whole game on its own Epic GamesThe TMNT crossover has finally arrived in Fortnite, and it’s brought with it awesome skins and exciting new weapons and mechanics that players have been loving. Fortnite players have been anticipating the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration since it was teased in the early stages of Chapter 5. So, now that the collab is finally here, how are players feeling about it? For the most part, players have been loving it (despite some “slamming” Epic’s greed) with awesome new skins like Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael. Fortnite fans not only have new skins to be amazed by, but also the reintroduction of the Driftboard vehicle, which you’ll need to master if you want to complete all the Cowabunga quests. Players shared their opinions on all the new Fortnite content, giving some surprising answers. Fortnite players love TMNT collab (for the most part) One curious person posed the question to the community: “What are your feelings about the update so far?” The top reply had nothing but praise for Epic Games’ hard work on the Fortnite x TMNT collab and applauded the skins and new mechanics. “Woke up to this and was so excited, shredder was an instant cop, and the new weapons are fun asf even if I have the balls to use them against Oscar’s shotty,” said one fan. Other people couldn’t agree more and pointed out that it is hard not to enjoy new content being added to the game. “Always cool to get new challenges and more free stuff,” said the person, and referenced the ability to earn rewards from the Cowabunga Pass even if you can’t afford the premium version. For some, it wasn’t the new cosmetics, or Cowabunga pass that mattered, but the actual gameplay changes like the new Weapons added. “The new mythicals are so cool! I love how each has their own combos. I’ve beaten so many people down with Donny’s stick,” said the fan. So, it seems players have been for the most part absolutely loving the new Fortnite x TMNT collab, and Epic Games’ hard work has paid off.

Fortnite players think vaulted game mode would make the XP grind bearable – Dexerto
Fortnite players think vaulted game mode would make the XP grind bearable FortniteFortnite players are rallying to reinstate the cherished Impostors game mode, recognizing its potential to significantly ease XP earnings this season. Impostors was a mode in which one player was the secret “Impostor” while the other players tried to figure out and get rid of the mole. The game mode was first introduced back in Chapter 2 Season 7 and was removed during Chapter 3 Season 3 after being in the game for a little over a year. It’s been two years since Impostors’ removal but it is still on the minds of many players who wish for Impostors to make a return for the sake of XP. Fortnite Chapter 5 has seen a major decrease in XP gains over the last three seasons, which has not gone unnoticed by the community. With Fortnite now extending Battle Pass rewards beyond tier 100, the need to accumulate as much XP as possible before the season’s end has become a pressing concern. Some community members believe reinstating the Imposters game mode would be the perfect solution. “The XP you could get was INSANE. It was also so dang fun,” stated one commenter on Reddit. The XP that Impostors gave was the main point of the conversation, with many also stating that they would enjoy the mode coming back just because of how much fun it was. However with the XP nerfs with Chapter 5, specifically with Season 3, the reason for the game mode’s removal has become more apparent. “I don’t know why they ever removed it. It was fun and really good for grinding XP if you missed most of the season. Oh, wait, that’s probably exactly why they removed it,” pointed out another. Impostors have been out of Fortnite for almost two years, and with collaborations with Among Us, there may be no reason for Fortnite to return to the mode. Regardless, the community has a soft spot for the gone but not forgotten game mode that was both fun and worth playing for the XP.

Fortnite players think they’ve seen Fishstick somewhere before – Dexerto
Fortnite players think they’ve seen Fishstick somewhere before Epic Games might have added their new Fishstick skin to Fortnite on December 26, but some sharp-eyed fans of the game think that the developer hinted at its arrival some time ago. At the beginning of Season 7, which was the launch of the v7.00 patch for Fortnite, there were several different loading screens leaked and then added to the game with all different kinds of art involved in them. However, one load screen from Week 2 of the game’s challenges seems to include something very fishy indeed. This loading art, which was identified by Reddit user BrainiacJonesy as the one which hinted at Fishstick’s eventual arrival, has a few different sketched designs to the right side. At the time, nobody could really be sure if these were going to hold any significance at all, in terms of future skins. Yet, BrainiacJonesy zoomed in to take a closer look and one drawing, in particular, does seem to look very much like the head of the new Fishstick skin. If this is true, then we might be able to expect even more hints to be dropped in the future for Fortnite’s skin designs. This could include not only the texture packs we see featured in the game, but also promotional material like the loading screen designs as well. Read More: Fortnite: Dr DisRespect vows to get “8 kills minimum” in a match but hilariously dies right at the start – Whether or not any of the other sketches on the page will be turned into Fortnite skins in the future, though, remains to be seen.

Fortnite players think they’re “Absolutely Doomed” with this “1000 HP” item – Dexerto
Fortnite players think they’re “Absolutely Doomed” with this “1000 HP” item Epic GamesFortnite players are freaking out over an ultra-rare item that grants “1000 HP” and powerful abilities, leading many to joke they’re “Absolutely Doomed.” The current season, titled Absolute Doom, launched on August 16, 2024. Themed around Marvel’s Doctor Doom, this season continues Fortnite’s collaboration with Marvel. The storyline revolves around Doctor Doom wielding the mythical Pandora’s box, threatening the Fortnite universe. Players take on the role of various Marvel heroes, like Gwenpool and War Machine, to stop Doom’s ambitions and restore peace. However, the excitement turned to dread when players got a taste of the new Ultra Doom mythic item. It grants 500 Health, 500 Shield, and several powerful abilities. On Reddit, one player shared a video questioning if it’s even possible to deal with an opponent armed with all this firepower. Doom’s Chosen abilities include Arcane Barrage, which unleashes a deadly multishot attack, and Scorch Beam, a long-range damage-dealing beam. Players can also use Mystical Gigabomb for aerial attacks or Dive Kick for a powerful crash down on foes. In addition to these abilities, the Ultra Doom item provides unlimited sprint and a shield siphon. One player expressed their disbelief, saying, “uhm wtf am i seeing 500 hp and 500 shield with a weapon that does more dmg then thanos beam could???” They compared the item to the notorious Thanos Beam, which could deal massive damage at long range. Another player complained, “This should be an LTM instead of a stupid 5% spawn chance. There’s a good chance I never get to use this because of how they added it.” A third player joked, “Why don’t they just skip all this foreplay and make a big red button that nukes everyone?” Despite some proposing strategies like using a Jetpack or teaming up against the Doom-powered player, the consensus is clear: “We truly are Absolutely Doomed.” While the Ultra Doom, and its ultra low drop rate, didn’t win players over, the season’s other additions, like Gwenpool’s 4th-wall-breaking antics, have been a hit.

Fortnite players think they’ve found a secret Among Us easter egg – Dexerto
Fortnite players think they’ve found a secret Among Us easter egg Fortnite players have been waiting for an Among Us collab for several months now, but some eagle-eyed fans think they’ve found a secret crossover easter egg. When Among Us spiked in popularity in 2020, many games jumped at the chance to create their own knock-off modes. Fortnite created its own social deduction mode, and the Among Us developers were disappointed in the lack of an actual collab. Fortnite has made a habit of collaborating with popular video games, and many fans of both games expected some sort of Among Us collab. However, that wasn’t the case. Until October 2021, when Fortnite tweeted at Among Us asking if they wanted to work on something together. It’s been several months since Epix Games extended the olive branch, but there’s been no word from either studio. Big fans! We never got to talk about how you inspired us. What do you think about working on something fun together sometime? — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 12, 2021 Fortnite’s secret Among Us easter egg Players have patiently waited for skins, cosmetics, or a game mode to be announced in collaboration with Among Us. Yet, some players believe the collab they’ve been waiting for has been hiding right under their feet. User FunnyCobra002posted an image to the r/FortNiteBR subreddit that showed a bird’s eye view of the Chapter 3 island. The island was outlined in red to show the shape of an Among Us crewmate. Comments on the post agreed that the map looked “sus” and others complained how they’d never be able to unsee the Imposter on the map. Ironically, this isn’t the first time players thought the Fortnite map looked like an Among Us crewmate. During Chapter 2, a similar image with the outline of an impostor circulated the internet leaving everyone feeling “sussy.” The different colored regions of the map do make the similarities feel uncanny, much more so than the Chapter 2 map comparison. But it does make some players wonder where the collab that was teased actually is. Fortnite players think Season 3’s meme skin could become the next Peely – Dexerto
Fortnite players think Season 3’s meme skin could become the next Peely Epic GamesFortnite has made a signature “meme” skin for each battle pass, and players are counting Chapter 5 Season 3’s Peabody among the best. Chapter 5 Season 3 has faced heavy criticism since being released on May 24. With the addition of chaotic vehicles, there has been a lot to complain about, but Peabody’s skin isn’t one of them. Fortnite released Peabody in two different variants in the Season 3 battle pass in back-to-back sections. The first unlocks the green version of the skin, while the next gives players a slightly different yellow variation. Peabody comes equipped with his own glider, contrail, pickaxe, and even a hilarious emote. But what matters to players is that Fortnite attempted to think outside the box. “It is one of the more interesting joke characters. I like how it played with the “kids in the trenchcoat” gag with a peapod twist,” said one Redditor. Several food-themed joke skins have been hits with Fortnite fans in the past, like Beef Boss, Tomatohead, Mancake, and, of course, Peely. “Every season, I initially roll my eyes at the meme skin. Then, over time, I end up loving them and they’re the only skins I continue to use from old BPs as time goes on. I think Peabody will be the same,” one commenter added. Peely is one of the most iconic skins to be released in Fortnite with multiple variants being made of him since his release in Chapter 1 Season 8. That said, the many other food spinoffs have not gotten as much attention as Peely has. “I don’t blame them for branching out, since the only way to make more iconic characters like Peely is to just try,” explained another Reddit user. With the introduction of Peabody, Fortnite players have begun to wonder if he will usher in a new era of collaborative skins like Peely did. Especially since multiple Reddit users commented on how they liked Peabody despite his goofiness. Peabody was just introduced in Chapter 5 Season 3, and hasn’t had a full month in the game just yet. But more Peabody skins could come in the future if fans continue to express interest in the sentient peas.

Fortnite players think Epic dev leaked Fall Guys skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players think Epic dev leaked Fall Guys skin FortniteFortnite fans were surprised to spot a Fall Guys skin in the game ahead of the collaboration’s release date, sparking rumors that an Epic dev might have spilled the beans. The much-hyped Fortnite and Fall Guys collaboration will let players design custom Fall Guys obstacle courses in the Fortnite universe. Players will be able to use a suite of tools and assets to create quirky islands filled with checkpoints, obstacles, and platforms. Starting August 6, players will be able to share their masterpieces via the Creator Portal, but players can already tinker with the new content in UEFN. As it stands, players shouldn’t be able to use Fall Guys skins outside of Fall Guys creative islands, and even when the collab officially drops, the bean skins and their tiny hitboxes aren’t made for Battle Royale modes. That’s why one player on Reddit was surprised to spot a Fall Guys skin ahead of the planned release in Battle Royale. The player shared a clip featuring a user named [EPIC] Rico sporting the pink Fall Guys bean skin in Fortnite’s Battle Royale lobby. The footage shows Rico emoting as he’s swarmed by a crowd of intrigued players. The sighting and username featuring “Epic” led some to suspect this was an Epic employee testing the skin. The comments range from “He has epic in his name so maybe,” to “It’s nice to see that Epic lets their employees mess around sometimes.” One fan humorously suggested, “They need to actually have this as an option. I think there should just be a battle royale mode where you can play as a bean.” Looking ahead, Fortnite continues to thrive by incorporating modes like LEGO, Rocket Racing, and Festival. This Fall Guys and Fortnite collab is the latest example of Epic Games’ knack for keeping the game fresh, despite some players calling the meta “stale.”

Fortnite players think new ‘meteor’ could hint at return to original map – Dexerto
Fortnite players think new ‘meteor’ could hint at return to original map Epic GamesNew in-game teases have Fortnite players thinking that Travis Scott’s Astronomical event could take us back in time to the original battle royale map. Fortnite’s in-game events are always unique spectacles that bring the entire community together. Whether its a huge collaboration with Star Wars or a world-ending black hole, Epic always seems to be planning the next big thing. Travis Scott’s series of in-game performances are up next as the rapper gets set to jump on stage starting April 23. However, a few subtle teases surrounding the new event have players confident that the game might return to its roots. Since the beginning of Chapter 2, Fortnite players have been treated to a brand new map referred to as ‘Apollo.’ This map replaced ‘Athena’ from the first Chapter as the original battleground was sucked into a black hole. Eagle-eyed players recently spotted a fascinating tease on the new Astro Jack skin that appears to hint at the old Fortnite map. Since then, another in-game teaser seems to have cropped up too, sending the community into a tizzy. Streaming a casual Fortnite session on April 22, popular YouTuber ‘CronicGamerZ’ appeared to spot a meteor in the distance. “What was that damn thing?” the streamer asked, seemingly unsure what just happened. A flicker of bright blue light appeared to crash at the very top of the player’s screen for just a brief moment. It travelled down for a few seconds before phasing back out once again. While this may purely be an indication Travis Scott’s event is close – as the purple Astroworld looms overhead – it could also tie back in with Astro Jack theories. Many avid Fortnite players are of the mindset another major shakeup that returns fans to the original map could be in store. This flicker of light could be hinting at another event like ‘The End,’ which destroyed the game’s original battlefield. Perhaps Travis Scott’s interdimensional travel is what brings the old landscape back with a bang. “I’m thinking it’s the meteor showers that happened back in season 3, which could suggest that the old map is on the other side of the islands like on the Astro jack skin,” Reddit user ‘RaiD_Nightz‘ explained. We’ll all just have to wait and see how things play out as the world-renowned rapper takes to the virtual stage on April 23. In the meantime, here are five things we can absolutely guarantee about the upcoming Astronomical event.

Fortnite players stunned as rarest skin makes random return in-game Epic GamesA rarest Item Shop skin has unexpectedly reappeared in Fortnite, much to the astonishment of the entire player community. Epic Games’ renowned battle royale game, Fortnite, is famous not only for its dynamic gameplay and frequent updates, but also for its extensive assortment of cosmetic items. One such category is Item Shop skins, which are highly sought after mementos that impart a distinctive element to the in-game avatars of players. Even though the item shop usually has a ton of skins, some of them have become rare since they represent a player’s grind and their OG standing in the game. Recently, Season OG has brought back a plethora of cosmetic items from past Fortnite seasons, in addition to weapons, equipment, and vehicles. As a result, players are understandably shocked by the reappearance of one of the game’s rarest Item Shop skins. They have now expressed their delight at the outfit’s return, given how much they desire it. Fortnite players shocked at return of rare Black Widow skin The Black Widow outfit has now returned to the Fortnite Item Shop after 1,668 days. The outfit was last seen in the shop in 2019 with the release of Avengers: Infinity War collab in the game. Along with the outfit, the Widow’s Pirouette emote has also returned for players to get from the Item Shop. While the unexpected return of the skin stunned several players, it has caused quite a stir online. One such player said, “Oh my gosh people are going to be so mad about this and I am ready for it”. Another chimed in, “That’s so smart right before they drop Eminem. Now everyone is gonna have to buy more V-Bucks.” A third player added, “Well, my rarest Marvel skin is no longer Black Widow. I’m happy people will get to use it though.” A fourth user commented, “Wonder if Eddie Brock will follow? I doubt it, they won’t let us get both. But I have a little hope that it does before the season ends.” With the return of Black Widow skin, our list of rarest Fortnite skins in 2023 has significantly changed, so check out our modified list right here.

Fortnite players stunned at Aphrodite skin “rizzing them up” in lobby – Dexerto
Fortnite players stunned at Aphrodite skin “rizzing them up” in lobby Epic GamesFortnite players are quite stunned at the new Aphrodite skin rizzing them up in the game’s lobby. Here’s what they found out about it. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has added a plethora of new features to the game, transitioning from a more contemporary Battle Royale island in the previous season. This time around, players are transported to a more mythical age, when Greek gods arrive on the island. The new season introduces four new POIs, a slew of new weapons and heavenly items, and a new Battle Pass with stunning skins. The pass includes gods such as Zeus, Artemis, Poseidon, Ares, Hades, and more. One of the skins, Aphrodite, has received a lot of criticism for its look which differs from the concept art. However, people are now taken aback by the skin and are starting to embrace it since they feel it is “rizzing them up” in the game’s lobby. Fortnite players shocked at Aphrodite skin breaking fourth wall A Reddit user named Sarcasism found out that the Aphrodite skin when equipped in a Fortnite lobby, looks at the screen during her lobby animation loop. However, the said pose also manages to steal a look at the user and Aphrodite’s eyes look up and down while breaking the fourth wall. Upon looking at said animation, several players believe the goddess of love is trying to “rizz them up” in the game. One such player said, “Damn, now I feel better.” Another chimed in, “She’s done her job as the god of beauty.” A third user commented, “Okay, I think I just fell in love.” A fourth one replied, “Ok, this skin is growing on me. I’m starting to like her more.” A fifth player wrote, “Honestly if any characters could be self-aware it’d definitely be her and the other gods.” A sixth one argued about the downward smirk, “I wanna know if Fortnite knew what they were doing with that one.”

Fortnite players spooked by vanishing Slurp Trucks – Dexerto
Fortnite players spooked by vanishing Slurp Trucks Epic GamesFortnite’s Slurp Trucks have been disappearing from the battle royale map due to a puzzling bug that is leaving players stumped. Introduced in the major Season 2 update, Slurp Trucks and Slurp Barrels were scattered across the freshly updated map as a new way for players to acquire additional shields. After breaking the new additions, anyone within a close proximity would have their shields topped up. However, a new bug is forcing Slurp Trucks to completely vanish, leaving players with one less source of healing. Trekking down a mountain mid-way through a game on March 12, Reddit user ‘ThiccBoi_” cautiously approached a Slurp Truck as though the issue had already impacted them in earlier lobbies. “Truck is still here,” he said as he spotted one in the distance. “Truck is not here,” he shortly expressed just a few seconds later as he got closer to the vehicle. After shaking his camera and taking a few steps, the truck disappeared entirely and the Fortnite duo was left to scavenge shields through other means. Similarly, another player also grinding the battle royale on PC, highlighted an even more egregious instance of the glitch. Rather than disappearing in the distance, this truck took its time before vanishing. Getting up close and personal, Reddit user ‘jrushFN’ was striking away at the Slurp Truck in hopes of breaking it and getting some shields before the closing zone forced them to flee. The truck however, had other ideas. Without showing any signs of damage, the truck looked completely impenetrable until it just disappeared altogether. While some players are suggesting that these issues could be popping up due to various rendering issues, it appears to be impacting PCs of all sorts, from budget builds to high-performance rigs. Epic is yet to respond to the glitch but at least these players were actually able to make it into the game to begin with — another jaw-dropping bug has been leaving players behind on the Spawn Island.

Fortnite players split on hotfix vaulting “terrible” Warforged AR – Dexerto
Fortnite players split on hotfix vaulting “terrible” Warforged AR Epic GamesFortnite’s latest hotfix vaulted the Warforged Assault Rifle for the Combat variant, leaving players divided on the change. Fortnite’s June 18 hotfix made various smaller changes after the major update 30.10, which introduced the Metallica crossover, heavy metal goodies, and other changes. One of the latest hotfix’s changes has proven controversial, though, with Epic Games vaulting the Warforged Assault Rifle in favor of the Combat Assault Rifle. Epic introduced the former in Chapter 5 Season 2, drawing a mixed reception from players because of the weapon’s in-game performance or lack thereof, as numerous Reddit threads and posts have blasted its recoil pattern and bloom. Many celebrated the Warforged AR’s removal from the loot pool. Numerous users on X replied with strong words of approval such as “LETS GO the Warforged was terrible anyway.” Others thanked Epic for answering their prayers. However, not everybody was a fan of the change. Many combated the removal, including well-known leaker iFireMonkey who started the hashtag: “BringBackTheWarforged.” “Best AR in the game is gone smh,” said one player in response to iFireMonkey’s despair. In response to ShiinaBR’s post, one player explained, “Everyone that says it sucked is just admitting they couldn’t control the recoil lol.” As with any weapon that gets vaulted, the move isn’t permanent. For example, Epic vaulted the Combat Assault Rifle in Chapter 3, yet it’s back and better than ever. It’s likely the Warforged will return in future seasons, but after some slight tweaks to make it a more viable weapon. Aside from the weapon swap, the surprise hotfix also adjusted the Tow Hook Cannon’s various spawn rates in Battle Royale.

Fortnite players split on Medusa’s Battle Pass appearance – Dexerto
Fortnite players split on Medusa’s Battle Pass appearance Fortnite.GGFortnite Chapter 5 Season 2’s Battle Pass continues to draw division amongst fans, with the Medusa skin leaving some fans very underwhelmed. Chapter 5 Season 2 of Fortnite is underway, taking players through a tour of myths and legends as the new season introduces Fortnite to Greek mythology. Aside from the new Mythics, locales, and NPCs, the Battle Pass is full of Greek-themed goodies for fans to earn like Zeus, Cerberus, and Artemis. However, the newest Battle Pass continues to draw flack, as players debate whether the developers could’ve done more with the cosmetics. Fortnite players divided on Medusa Battle Pass skin Much of the fan disappointment with the Battle Pass skins has been regarding the concept art versus the final implementation. Aphrodite is a prime example, as fans labeled it a “major downgrade.” Medusa’s skin is the current topic of debate amongst players, although one player shared how they think the skin was well done, compared to the criticism Aphrodite faced. “This skin is amazing. Whoever designed her outfit did God’s work. It’s OK if you disagree. We all have different tastes but, this is absolutely top 5 Epic-created Battle Pass skin, at least for me.” A few players shared their love for the skin: “Medusa is my favorite skin this season! It’s great that they put a Fortnite spin on the gods.” Another simply said: “My favorite version of her.” Yet much of the criticism came from fans feeling like this skin is underwhelming, highlighting a trend they feel Epic Games is following. “My gripe with the skin is Epic seems to have gotten lazy with battle pass skins over the years. They used to sometimes throw in some cool features for them like Mave’s transformations or Midas turning everything he touches to gold. The Fortnite version really just seems like a lady with snakes for hair. Kinda of a letdown.” Other sentiments felt similar, as fans were quick to compare the concept art to the final product. Time will tell what Medusa’s in-game presence will be, although she and many other Battle Pass skins will definitely remain a touchy subject.

Fortnite players split amid claims Pickaxe is better than Hammer Pump Shotgun – Dexerto
Fortnite players split amid claims Pickaxe is better than Hammer Pump Shotgun Epic Games/DexertoThe Fortnite player base is now divided over claims that the Pickaxe is better than the Hammer Pump Shotgun as a weapon in Chapter 5. The introduction of a new weapon mods feature in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 drew influence from Apex Legends and other Battle Royale games, and it radically altered the gameplay. During a Battle Royale round, players can now personalize their weapons by attaching their favorite attachments while utilizing a mod bench. The seasonal update added a bunch of new weapons, including the Hammer Pump Shotgun. Although it’s based on the same design as earlier pump-style shotguns, the Hammer Pump was panned by some players. Whoever liked the Frenzy Auto Shotgun would use it instead of the Hammer Pump, or they would simply proceed with their Pickaxe. Therefore, there is currently a divide in the player community due to claims that the Pickaxe is superior to the Hammer Pump Shotgun in the current season. Fortnite players divided over Pickaxe vs. Hammer Pump Shotgun debate A Reddit user by the name of lhaha07 asserted that the default Chapter 5 Pickaxe was more powerful than the Hammer Pump Shotgun by posting a picture of the two items side by side and using the greater-than symbol. In response, several players posted their thoughts on the “controversial take” based on their experience with the two items. One such player said, “The pickaxe is arguably more important than any one weapon in the game.” Another chimed in, “Hammer pump even sounds trash. Everything about it belongs in a landfill. Pickaxe is god-tier. Hammer pump is landfill-tier.” A third user added, “Honestly this is the coldest take I’ve ever seen.” However, many argued the shotgun is a better item for your loadout, with one player commenting, “Y’all just have bad aim. The hammer is kinda goated.” Another user replied, “On builds, the pump is still my first choice weapon. Even including the OP snipers.” This time around, Fortnite users are making their voices heard. Chapter 5 introduced players to a slew of powerful weapons that have quickly become meta, and the community is eagerly anticipating Epic’s nerf of some of these weapons.

Fortnite players slam update 28.10 sprint nerfs for making game “unenjoyable” – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam update 28.10 sprint nerfs for making game “unenjoyable” Epic GamesPlayers are slamming Fortnite for its most recent update to the game that reduced the sprinting speed by 20%, claiming that it makes the game worse all around. Fortnite Chapter 5 has received a great deal of negative feedback since releasing in December. The refresh brought significant changes to the game, such as weapon modifications and a new set of movement animations. There had already been complaints regarding the current movement system and how the change impacted sprinting. Some have argued that the change isn’t as significant as others want to believe, while others have searched for specific methods to get the old movement back. However, the most recent mid-season update has been the nail in the coffin for many players regarding the current movement system – especially with sprinting. Fortnite players call new sprint ‘heavy’ While the latest update added Solid Snake and other Metal Gear Solid characters to the game, as well as minor map changes and unvaulted weapons, the changes to the sprint system have stood out the most. “I’m really getting tired of running out of stamina in like 1 second, and it is taking forever to recharge especially when I need it most,” said one frustrated Redditor. “The recent update just made this 10X worse. Why does Epic insist on making the game as slow as possible,” The change was not made immediately apparent to some players who claimed that they thought they were just ‘crazy’, thinking that the sprint had not actually been changed. “Felt the same way,” agreed another user. “I was constantly jamming on sprint and felt like I was in one of those dreams when you’re trying to walk but your feet are suuuuper heavy.” Epic Games has not addressed the issues regarding the recent sprint changes in Fortnite – which not only put a 20% reduction on the sprint speed but also nerfed how long it takes to regenerate. For now, players will have to adjust their playstyle accordingly and hope for a change in the future.

Fortnite players are spending less and less as revenue plummets – Dexerto
Fortnite players are spending less and less as revenue plummets Epic Games / UnsplashEpic Game’s battle royale title Fortnite has endured massive drops in revenue in recent months, showing a significant decline from the highs of 2018. According to a new report from Nielsen company, SuperData, which detailed the highest earning games for the month of May 2019, Fortnite has seen a significant drop in revenue compared to previous years. Fortnite made $203 million in May 2019 across all platforms, which is still a huge return for the popular battle royale game, although it is only good enough for fifth place on the list of PC games revenue, despite remaining number one on consoles. It is quite common for popular games to fluctuate with revenue made per month, however, compared to May 2018, Fortnite’s earnings for the same month in 2019 have dropped by a staggering 38% overall. This will be a surprise to some, as the difference in revenue compared to the previous year comes during one of the most successful months for Fortnite in 2019, after receiving a boost from the release of Season 9 of the Battle Pass on May 9. Although Fortnite has a strong presence on PC with the vast majority of the game’s professional players opting to use the platform, console players are still the main source of revenue according to SuperData, saying: “Console continues to contribute the largest share of players and revenue.” There are many surprising names in the PC category ahead of Fortnite for Western gamers, such as the popular Chinese games, Crossfire and Fantasy Westward Journey Online II, which aren’t far behind League of Legends at number one on the list. The drop off in revenue is not a good sign for Epic Games, however, as it indicates that players are less interested in spending money on the battle royale game than before. Assuming this is not just a temporary blip, and indicative of a long term trend, it could also be a cause for concern elsewhere in the Epic business, as they are believed to be using the cash cow of Fortnite to push their ‘Epic Games Store’ launcher aggressively, securing lots of exclusive titles on PC.

Fortnite players slam “tedious” Odyssey challenges & quests – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam “tedious” Odyssey challenges & quests Epic GamesChapter 5 Season 2’s hype quest is missing the mark with some of the player base, with Fortnite players dissatisfied with the quest’s requirements. Fortnite‘s first season of Chapter 5 is coming to a close, and all eyes are looking towards the future. Chapter 2 is set to arrive in early March, bringing a Greek-mythologically themed season. As part of the hype for the upcoming season, a mini live event is underway, tasking players with opening up Pandora’s Box. There’s also a “hype quest” offering a few rewards for those who complete the quests before the current season ends. However, it seems the hype quest hasn’t hit the mark for some players, with many dubbing it as “tedious” work. Fortnite players disgruntled with “tedious” Odyssey quest The quest under fire is the “Collect Mosaic Tiles” challenge. As the name implies, players are tasked with collecting an increasing amount of titles to complete a mosaic, with the rewards being a loading screen and a back bling. In a post shared to the Fortnite subreddit, players voiced their frustration with the quest, with the key descriptor being that it’s “tedious.” For the unaware, the quest starts with players having to collect 25 tiles, with the last step forcing players to collect 300. One player perfectly summed up their feelings on the quest: “I normally don’t complain about quests, but this one is just way too much. Especially because it basically came the last week of the season. I am fortunate enough to be able to play a lot.” In all fairness, tiles are dished out relatively easily, since destroying items, hitting weak points or damaging enemies will reward them. However, there seem to be a myriad of bugs surrounding the tiles’ implementation causing others to quit out of sheer frustration. Plenty of replies shared advice on how to speed up the process: “It’s easy to get a lot of them fast by going to a relatively empty location and breaking structures by hitting their weak points. However, the player ended their advice with: “The quest really does suck though.” Chapter 5 Season 2 is scheduled to arrive on March 8 meaning there isn’t much time left to collect those tiles.

Fortnite players slam Nitrodome changes & claim they took away Season 3’s identity – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Nitrodome changes & claim they took away Season 3’s identity Epic GamesFortnite has removed the rock Jam Tracks from the Nitrodrome POI and replaced them with lobby music, which hasn’t gone over well with the community. Nitrodrome is one of the new landing spots in Chapter 5 Season 3 and was an instant favorite thanks to its unique lineup of rock music. However, the charm of the Nitrodrome has faded as the unique rock tracks that once defined its atmosphere have been replaced with generic lobby music, hand-picked by Epic Games. Each season, new lobby music is added through the Battle Pass, which allows players to switch up what they’re listening to before jumping onto the map. These songs don’t quite exude the same hardcore energy once present in the Nitrodrome, thanks to its once endless supply of rock and roll. The community has since demanded a reversal, urging Fortnite to restore the Nitrodrome’s original rock music and do away with the Lobby Music. “Entering the Nitrodrome for the first time and hearing ‘Hail to the King’ being blasted on the speakers was magical; this sucks comparatively,” stated the top comment on Reddit. Several theories began to pop up in the comment section about why Fortnite would eliminate the Jam Tracks in the main game after initially including them when the season was released. The most popular answer seemed to be that the music, which was copyrighted, would put streamers in a problematic position for potentially being punished because of it. “I assume they’re doing this as a temporary fix before making the copyrighted music be replaced by lobby music while streaming mode is on,” suggested another commenter. The exact reason for the change is unknown, as Fortnite nor the devs elaborated or officially acknowledged the change.

Fortnite players slam “petty” Apple for bringing end to iPhone users – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam “petty” Apple for bringing end to iPhone users Epic Games / LoFi AlpacaFortnite players have been left furious after Epic Games has revealed that Apple has “terminated” their developer account on iOS for iPhone users. After Apple ended up winning the lawsuit against Epic Games, Fortnite has not returned to the iOS App Store since. Even though it was announced that the game would be finally returning for European users, Epic has received another major blow. Epic Games has officially announced that their developer accounts have been terminated by Apple. This has left players outraged and fearing that Fortnite will never return to iPhone. Fortnite players furious after Apple terminates Epic’s dev account On March 6, Epic Games announced in an official blog titled: “Apple terminated Epic’s Developer Account.” “We recently announced that Apple approved our Epic Games Sweden AB developer account. We intended to use that account to bring the Epic Games Store and Fortnite to iOS devices in Europe thanks to the Digital Markets Act (DMA). “To our surprise, Apple has terminated that account and now we cannot develop the Epic Games Store for iOS. This is a serious violation of the DMA and shows Apple has no intention of allowing true competition on iOS devices.” Players soon flooded the comments to express their frustrations. One player commented: “Epic Games stepping up to build their own store is a pretty bold move, but it’s about time someone challenged the status quo. One simply commented, “This is so petty and ironic. The joke writes itself.” Another stated, “Apple is a technological embarrassent at this point.” Apple set to face questions from European Union According to Bloomberg, Apple will face further questioning from the European Union over the accused termination of the Epic Games developer account in Europe. It was reported that Apple has been asked by the EU commission to provide further explanation of their reasonings behind the termination. As well as this, it was said that the regulators were “examining whether Apple’s behavior may have fallen foul of other digital rules over transparency with business users.” At the time of writing, Apple has not responded to the situation regarding the termination of Epic’s developer account or what it means for the future of Fortnite on iPhone devices.

Fortnite players slam Medallions as “worthless” in Chapter 5 Season 1 – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Medallions as “worthless” in Chapter 5 Season 1 Epic GamesFortnite players are now calling Medallions worthless in Chapter 5 Season 1 due to their nerf stats and limited usage in a Battle Royale match. Here’s how they stated their issues with the new item and their reactions. As players explore the island aboard the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 train, experiment with weapon mods, and run an Underground mission to rescue Peely, the first season is off to a fantastic start. The island has reverted to its original state as Winterfest 2023 draws to a close, and players are diligently striving to complete their Battle Pass. Society Medallions have proven to be extraordinarily useful this season for some players in unlocking vaults and regenerating shields, however, they have the disadvantage of disclosing their location on the map. Initially introduced as an item that was overpowered, Society Medallions shortly received a nerf by Epic Games to restrict their shield regeneration by some amount. Players have begun to slam Society Medallions since the update was released as worthless and cited other concerns. Here’s what they said. Fortnite players slam nerfed Society Medallions as “worthless” A user named ElusiveCookie73 posted their thoughts on the FortniteBR subreddit about the “worthless” medallions in Chapter 5 Season 1. They said, “In my opinion, the trade-off is not worth it. Your location is almost completely exposed in exchange for a minimal shield. You have to wait for it to regen to get the most out of it so you can’t just shield up immediately. Minis become worthless.” “It’s easy too easy to eliminate a player holding any number of these. They should give you an extra 50 shield like in zero builds instead, that would make them worth it.”, they stated while concluding their thoughts. In the same situation, one such player replied, “I still like them, but only because I welcome players to try to track me down. I get tired of looking for other players sometimes. Otherwise, no they aren’t worth it.” Another chimed in, “Nah all I do now is Kill boss > grab medallion > open vault > drop medallion > profit. Not worth it for me to reveal myself for the rest of the game just for 50 shield. Like if it also protected from fall damage or gave infinite stamina that’s one thing. But as is? Pass.” As there is still a long way to go for the ongoing Chapter 5 Season 1, players can only wait for the Epic Games winter break to be over to receive the next major Fortnite update.

Fortnite players slam new Flash skin for being the exact same as the old one – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam new Flash skin for being the exact same as the old one Warner Bros. / Epic GamesIn response to the release of the latest DCEU film The Flash in theatres, Fortnite users are outraged that the old Flash skin inspired by the CW series has been re-added to the game. While players had hoped for a new skin showcasing Ezra Miller’s iteration, they were left disappointed. Fortnite’s collaborations with movies, TV shows, comics, and even other games have proven to be quite fruitful over the years. Some of the most well-known, however, have been based on the Marvel and DC comic book franchises. For instance, with the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, many players purchased a Miles Morales skin as they previously hoped it would be added to the game. In contrast to Marvel’s prolific output of movie-based skins, DC has been noticeably quieter in this regard. After the release of Warner Bros.’ final film in the DC Extended Universe, The Flash, fans were anticipating Ezra Miller’s portrayal of the Scarlet Speedster to arrive as an in-game skin. Unfortunately, Fortnite just re-added the Flash skin based on the CW version portrayed by Grant Gustin, which did not sit well with fans. Fortnite players outraged over re-release of the old Flash skin instead of the new one As of earlier today, all DC skins had been re-added to the Fortnite Item Shop after Epic did a complete reset in honor of the premiere of the DCEU film The Flash. Skins for characters like Batman Zero, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and more have been added to the Item Shop, and they’ve been quite popular among players. They were especially disappointed that DC and Epic opted to re-release the “old” version of the Flash skin based on Grant Gustin’s portrayal in the CW show rather than include Ezra Miller’s version in the game. Players speculate that this is because of the recent criminal procedures that the movie’s star actor, Ezra Miller, has been involved in. Others have said that the Grant Gustin Flash would be their first option as a Flash skin, even if the new version of the character were to be included in the game. However, many think that Epic planned to resell the DC skins in anticipation of the launching of a film in the franchise because they rarely issue new skins for the franchise in the game. As a melancholy farewell to Snyder’s DCEU, The Flash is currently playing in theatres around the world, and audiences are responding enthusiastically to the film.

Fortnite players slam “horrible” song in new TMNT emote – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam “horrible” song in new TMNT emote Epic GamesFortnite players have admitted to not buying the new TMNT emote solely because of the song. Here’s what they said. The TMNT collab with Fortnite has brought some exciting additions to the game, including new items, weapons, quests, and even skins from the popular franchise. Players can also now enjoy a bunch of new TMNT emotes from the mini Battle Pass, showcasing different stances from the main protagonists. Recently, the Item Shop has also added a new TMNT emote called Lil’ Turtle Van. Featuring the iconic TMNT car, the traversal emote lets players drive around while music blasts in the background. However, some players have admitted that they’re not a fan of this emote due to the “awful” song attached to it. “The music ruins this emote for me. Anyone getting the Lil’ Turtle Van? I like the emote, but I refuse to give any money to the guy that made this horrible song,” said one user in a Reddit thread before asking what others think of this emote. Other players quickly flocked to this thread to share their thoughts, with the majority of them agreeing with the OP. Despite some players thinking the emote was cool, they didn’t buy it solely because of the song. One person even went as far as saying, “Yeah, it’s so bad. It’s like they just asked some random SoundCloud rapper to come in and do it in 1 take.” Meanwhile, another person said, “I feel you man, the emote is cool but that song gives me ear cancer. I’d rather save my V-bucks for something else.” Another user claimed that the song sounds like something people would hear in a Rick and Morty episode, to which another replied, “Instead of being meant to be bad, they’re actually selling it.” Overall, the community doesn’t seem too keen about “copping” the emote, though some players said that they’d like the song if the option to mute vocal tracks was available.

Fortnite players slam Epic’s “greedy” Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass change – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic’s “greedy” Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass change Epic GamesPerceptive Fortnite players have discovered some changes with the new Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass that seem like it could make it a lot tougher to receive its Bonus Rewards. A Fortnite season typically lasts around 10 weeks, giving fans plenty of time to level up and unlock all the unique rewards. But for this Marvel-themed Season, players realized that the level requirement to obtain the non-Super Style Bonus Rewards has been increased to level 150. In the previous season, fans only had to make it to level 130 to acquire the normal and post-Battle Pass Bonus Rewards. This left many players afraid of the added levels and the possibility of having to work even harder for these cosmetics. This is nothing new for Fortnite, but having to make it all the way to 150 is a daunting task for many players. A Reddit post outlined the Season 4 change by counting all the levels required to gain each item in the Bonus Rewards. Many fans in the replies shared their worries about the chance of not making it to level 150 by the end of the season. One response said that it “better be easier to get XP, because I barely made 130 last season.” While this all depends on the time you have per day to play Fortnite, the 20-level boost can affect all players. Another reply explained how this change affected them by taking a look back on memory lane. They said that, back in their day, you only needed 100 levels. “Normal working people could finish the list,” they claimed. On the other hand, some optimistic players explained that it shouldn’t be too difficult to make it to level 150 since “they greatly buffed xp at about the mid point last season.” In reply to someone wondering why Epic has changed the Battle Pass at all, one user had a simple answer, “Corporate greed.” With fans already sweating at the idea of having to gain more levels for the Bonus Rewards, you should prepare the take on Chapter 5 Season 4 with the new Accolades and weekly challenges.

Fortnite players slam Fallout crossover for being a “massive letdown” – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Fallout crossover for being a “massive letdown” Epic GamesFortnite players are urging Epic Games to do more with the Fallout collaboration, as the only cosmetic that has come to the game so far is a bobblehead back bling and the Battle Pass Power Armor. Fallout was teased as the season’s theme early on with the Brotherhood Power Armor. However, outside of that same suit being featured in the battle pass, there wasn’t much more to the collab. Fortnite added Nuka Cola to the loot pool as a new healing item, but that’s where the Fallout collaboration stopped. Since the season began on May 24, no additional Fallout-themed cosmetics or items have been introduced. Player excitement dwindled when Fortnite released a bobblehead back bling in the shop without a corresponding skin or pickaxe. Now, the community is calling for Fortnite to expand on the collaboration before the season ends. “As a die-hard Fallout fan and a gamer who loves post-apocalyptic themes, I’ve been checking the store every morning since the start of the season for the arrival of The Ghoul from the Fallout series or the Ranger skin from Fallout New Vegas. I’ve given up hope,” said one player on a Reddit post. Other Reddit community members expressed the same frustrations, saying that they, too, would love the chance to purchase something from the franchise. Some comments even suggested that Fortnite could draw inspiration from the Amazon Prime series by adding the main character Lucy to the game. “You remember that meme with the defaults in the vault uniforms? Would have gladly taken that if I knew this is what we were actually getting LMAO” said another user when talking about the Fallout Vault Boy back bling. There are still several weeks left in the Chapter 5 Season 3 season, which gives Fortnite the time to potentially do more with the collaboration.

Fortnite players slam Epic over “worthless” XP rewards in Battle Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic over “worthless” XP rewards in Battle Royale Epic GamesFortnite players are frustrated at Epic Games’ decision to lower XP gains from weekly and daily quests in Battle Royale. With the addition of Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite, there are more opportunities than ever to gain XP. All three game modes were introduced in Chapter 5 and recently got revamps alongside Season 2. The initial season of Chapter 5 saw players trying out these new modes and reaching over a thousand levels. Something that Epic seemingly wants to put a stop to in the new season. Unlike previous seasons, Chapter 5 Season 2 has significantly reduced XP gained from daily and weekly quests. Some have speculated this to be due to the newly added game modes. Fortnite players notice decline in XP gain A Reddit post is gaining popularity in the community by addressing concerns about the noticeable decrease in experience gains for Season 2. The post highlights that in contrast to the previous season, where players could earn from 15,000 to 30,000 XP from a single quest, the current season has reduced it to just 5,000 XP. “This is gonna be the first season I’ve skipped in a LONG time,” said one reply. “Skins don’t interest me and the last battle pass was an absolute slog to get through. I don’t want to play Creative or off-brand Mario Kart, Rock Band, or Minecraft. I want to play Battle Royale and complete the pass, but unless you do everything, good luck I guess.” However, players who have explored the other game modes have also observed a decline in XP from quests within those modes. “I only played Festival in Season 1 and some racing and got to level 297,” explained another reply. “The quests, milestones, etc were easy to clear but infrequent. Previously, weekly quests came more often, now weekly’s are every two weeks with fewer challenges and lower XP. The XP in BR has been lowered significantly since Chapter 5.” Fortnite hasn’t addressed the lack of XP in the recent season or given a reason behind it. Although Season 2 has only been out for a couple of days, it may get adjustments as the weeks progress.

Fortnite players slam Epic going for “quick cash grab” after Cybertruck release – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic going for “quick cash grab” after Cybertruck release Epic GamesFollowing Epic Games’ reveal that Tesla’s iconic Cybertruck would be heading to Fortnite, the vehicle arrived alongside the battle royale’s latest update on July 23, but not everyone is happy about its inclusion. Despite being free content, a heavily upvoted, now-deleted thread on Reddit called out Epic for the vehicle’s inclusion, labeling it a “quick cash grab.” Further, the author took specific issue with what they considered hypocrisy on the developer’s part. “There’s no reason why Fortnite can’t bring back other skins due to ‘controversy’ when they are literally adding a brand tied to Elon Musk,” they continued, believing that “Fortnite clearly doesn’t care anymore” in its pursuit of a “metaverse.” Responses ranged from further speculation over how much money changed hands between Epic and Tesla to make the collaboration happen, to multiple instances of players voicing their intention of prioritizing the destruction of any Cybertruck they encountered. “To be fair it probably was the most money Epic got for the simplest design to put in the game. It’s just a 3D irregular pentagon,” one user said, while another added, “Looking forward to making every Elontruck I see explode.” Others questioned Epic’s decision-making process. “Seriously. I can never get the Cardi B emote because one word in there kinda sounds like p***y, but they’ll give the go-ahead to an Elon Musk collab.” “Even the Epic employees hate that this is happening,” came another. “A few have spoken their mind about it already and it just lets you know who exactly made this happen,” they continued. In addition to the Cybertruck, Fortnite’s 30.30 update introduced new Fall Guys content and more, the details for which you can find on our dedicated patch notes page.

Fortnite players slam Epic over absurd Festival instrument prices: “Really testing the limits” – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic over absurd Festival instrument prices: “Really testing the limits” Epic GamesFortnite players are slamming Epic Games for the absurdly high prices of in-game Festival instruments. Players say Epic is “really testing the limits” and has them in a rage over ridiculous prices. Fortnite’s ecosystem is thriving, as evidenced by the growth of UEFN experiences, new Battle Royale mode features with Chapter 5, and the introduction of three new game modes – LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival. Beyond the conventional Battle Royale mode, LEGO Fortnite has garnered significant attention from players, surpassing the peak player count that Season OG established a month ago. Nevertheless, a substantial portion of the Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival player bases support the game by purchasing cosmetic items tied to those modes other than skins. For instance, Fortnite Festival participants can purchase cosmetic items from the Item Shop that resemble the instruments they use in the game. On the other hand, they are criticizing Epic for setting the selling price of instruments excessively high, now that the TMNT collab has hit the game. Fortnite players slam Epic for high prices of TMNT x Festival Instruments Fortnite Festival players are now taking to social media to voice their rage towards the high prices of instruments in the Item Shop. According to players, the 1,500 V-Bucks price tag of the newly released TMNT-themed instruments is nearly equal to an actual skin in the Item Shop priced at 1,600 V-Bucks. The Reddit user who started the discussion said, “Epic is really testing the limits on what sort of price gouging they can get away with.” Additionally, some players have slammed Epic for what they perceive as excessive pricing for cosmetic items in the game’s secondary modes, in contrast to the fairer rates for the primary Battle Royale skins. They argue that players should receive these instruments for free with the purchase of a skin from the same collaboration or style since they spend so little time in Festival and Rocket Racing. One such player said, “This entire chapter is just a massive cash grab at this point.” Another chimed in, “The fact that they thought people are gonna pay 4k V-Bucks for a car skin is crazy. Instruments too, I would pay like 500 V-Bucks max.” A third user settled the argument by commenting, ” Honestly I don’t see why they can’t just be in a bundle for like 2000 V- Bucks. Paying $60 for some f*****g instruments is actually ridiculous. That’s worse than Valorant and Overwatch pricing combined.” In a similar style, players had earlier voiced their concern about the high prices of Rocket Racing cars, although Epic later dropped those prices.

Fortnite players slam Epic Games for “scamming” with expensive car skins – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic Games for “scamming” with expensive car skins Epic GamesFortnite players are furious after Epic Games added various car skin cosmetics to the Item Shop with the release of Rocket Racing and many believe are considerably overpriced. Fortnite has received high praise as of late. Despite being released for a number of years, it has broken various player count records thanks to Season OG, Eminem, and the introduction of LEGO Fortnite. After the popular Chapter 4 ended with The Big Bang live event, Chapter 5 picked up where it left off and introduced three new modes, one of which being Rocket Racing. Rocket Racing was added on December 8, as a collaboration with Rocket League, bringing its own racing game mode and all-new car skins which are purchaseable from the Item Shop. However, Fortnite players have blasted Epic Games after the skins have been deemed far too expensive by many fans. Fortnite under fire after Epic Games releases high-priced car skins The Fortnite community have been in uproar ever since the car skins released alongside Rocket Racing, which has led to various viral posts across various social media outlets. In particular, creator HYPEX posted: “The most expensive Fortnite cosmetics. New cars are out in the Item Shop and they cost up to 4,000 V-Bucks.” It featured with screenshots of the three car cosmetic bundles that range from 2,500 to 4,000 V-Bucks and would cost around $20 to $40 each. Fortnite players soon flooded in with it gaining over 27 thousand likes and over 1000 comments, as fans expressed their frustrations. “Fortnite after scamming us with cars worth up to 40 dollars,” a player responded, along with an image of money. “Nobody is getting that,” one claimed, as others compared it to other in-game items available: “You could buy at least 4 Battle Passes with that.” Despite the widely regarded high price, each car cosmetic bundle of Diesel, Jager 619 and Cyclone all feature different car body skins for your vehicle, 48 car body colors, and 6 varying decals. Epic Games also released the brand-new Rocket Racing mode in the game completely free.

Fortnite players slam Epic Games for ruining matches with AI bots – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic Games for ruining matches with AI bots Epic GamesFortnite players have had enough of Epic Games using AI bots to fill up their matches despite the millions of daily players. Fortnite’s ever-changing Battle Royale mode has always divided community opinions no matter how much each feature, weapon, or in-game item impacts the game. Chapter 5 has seen a whole overhaul of brand-new additions and changes that have freshened up the meta and how players compete to get themselves a Victory Royale. However, one feature that has been in the game since Chapter 2 Season 1, is the use of AI bots, and it has once again been causing a storm among the player base. Fortnite players are still furious over AI bots ruining matches Fortnite player eL_graves asked the community: “Is this (AI) fun for anyone? Million+ daily players, what is the need for this?” This was showcased alongside a short clip of them easily eliminating the enemy player suspected of being an AI bot by barely even trying. Despite having three medallions equipped and being stacked full of loot in the final circle, they simply launched a targeted missile from their Anvil Rocket Launcher and the opposing player walked straight into it, gifting them the win. Players soon flooded in to bash Epic’s overuse of AI bots: “I don’t mind a few bots here and there. But I hate the whole cycle of winning a game and getting matched against crazy skill-level players, then losing and having a lobby full of bots. That cycle is so unsatisfying.” Various others echoed that it “ruins” the game: “It’s no fun either getting a game, and it’s just bots. Like two bots fighting each other, no damage and I can third-party them. Sure k/d is up, but it feels cheated.” Others disagreed: “Personally I kind of like the AI. As a dad who works 50-60 hours a week and isn’t the best at the game, I’ll admit it’s nice to be able to hop in a game, get a few kills, and not always die right off the rip.” Another added: “I mean, you still had to defeat every real player to get there, unless the last human sucked bad enough to die to the bot, then that’s just a reflection on the skill level of the whole lobby.” AI bots have been used by the developers to try and balance the difficulty of matches through Skill-Based Matchmaking for close to five years. With this is in mind, and Epic not providing any information to suggest otherwise, the feature has no signs of being removed from Fortnite any time soon.

Fortnite players slam Epic Games for “awful” weapon designs in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic Games for “awful” weapon designs in Chapter 5 Epic GamesFortnite players have had enough with the weapon designs in Chapter 5 after they keep mistakening them for each other, particularly with the Enforcer AR and Reaper Sniper Rifle. Fortnite’s Chapter 5 has been well underway, and following a newly added update that introduced the Enforcer AR, players have been left furious. During fast-paced Battle Royale matches, players can find themselves barely having time to think as they aim to quickly loot, evade the storm and eliminate any enemies that come across their way. That is where the addition of the Enforcer AR has proved tricky for various players, who have been finding themselves clueless and mistakenly picking up the AR instead of the Sniper and vice versa. This has led to players slamming Epic Games for the overall “awful” weapon designs in Chapter 5, demanding change. Fortnite players demand Enforcer AR weapon design be changed Fortnite player just_frosty asked: “If you had the enforcer AR and the Sniper (without scope) in your inventory, would you know which is which?”. This was shown paired with an image of the two rifles side by side, which displays their remarkable likeness. During the Battle Royale match, you can find both the Enforcer AR and Reaper Sniper Rifle with our without scopes, which has enraged players, who often have been clueless about which is which. Legions of players echoed the same issues: “The amount of times I picked up the Enforcer thinking it was a Sniper,” as the OP responded by admitting they “sniped someone for 36 before only to realize 10 minutes ago I dropped my Sniper for one.” Players continued to slam Epic and called for them to “get rid of it,” while others disagreed and instead demanded they “definitely change the model” of the newly added Enforcer AR. However, it wasn’t just these weapons that players had issues with, “The art design for this chapter is extremely awful. You should be able to tell what gun is what at a quick glance. The amount of people confusing the SMG vs shotgun and the AR vs the sniper is too damn high.” Epic Games has not addressed the issues that players have faced in Chapter 5 involving the likeness seen across the various weapon designs. It is therefore unknown whether these will be changed in a further update, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Fortnite players slam Epic for “dumb nerf” on spawn rates in Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic for “dumb nerf” on spawn rates in Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite has just rolled out the balance changes for Chapter 5 Season 4 and players are unhappy with how things have turned out in the game. Fortnite players were greeted with a new meta shortly after Chapter 5, Season 4, started due to the introduction of new Marvel weapons and items. With that in mind, the biggest complaint on day one was Captain America’s Shield which deals a huge chunk of damage with auto-aim. Combine the shield with War Machine’s Auto Turret and War Machine’s Hover Jets, and even more chaos ensues in the Battle Royale as you mow down enemies left and right. While Epic has rolled out some balance changes, players have gathered in a Reddit thread to voice their frustrations about the recent nerfs affecting spawn rates of some weapons and items. One user wrote: “Nerfing items by decreasing their drop rate is the dumbest s*** I’ve ever seen. F*** whoever at Epic for thinking it’s the right way to do it.” They went on to explain that they’ve died “so many times” because the enemy had a jetpack while all they had were shockwaves. Since that’s the case, the enemy could “engage or disengage” the fight “whenever they please,” while they don’t “have the luxury to do the same” since they had “no mobility at all due to spawn rate nerf.” Many other players flocking to the comments agreed with this take. While this isn’t the first time, one user mentioned that “obviously reducing the drop rate of an OP item in a BR game is a very bad idea.” They continued: “You nerf quality, not the quantity. And people like me who already have a solid tons-of-avenger-chests route will still get all the stuff they need, while more chill players will stuck without any of the new items. Jeez.” “It’s the same problem we had towards the end of season 1 with sniper rifles. It makes the game so much more RNG dependent,” commented another user. Meanwhile, a different user said: “Exactly, having fewer shields and jetpacks available each round doesn’t protect us from having to deal with them. It just puts us even more at the mercy of those who do find them.” “That’s such a dumb nerf because for those that are lucky and get the items, their game is boosted by a lot,” one chimed in. Fortnite is known to issue balance changes occasionally throughout the season, and if you need a refresher on what’s changed, check out the game’s recent patch notes.

Fortnite players slam Epic for “extremely unfair” way to get free skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic for “extremely unfair” way to get free skin epic gamesFortnite has just released a new free skin in Chapter 5 Season 4, but players aren’t particularly happy over the method of obtaining it. Fortnite has a huge list of skins and cosmetics, whether that be from a crossover or an original concept from the game. While a lot of them usually require you to purchase from the Item Shop, occasionally, the game gives out freebies anyone can grab just by completing missions. Now, in Chapter 5, Season 4, players finally have the chance to get their hands on the new Katalina skin for free. For the uninitiated, the only way to get this skin right now is by completing Fortnite missions from iOS and Android. Additionally, the iOS platform is restricted only to the EU at the moment. Due to all these requirements to get the free skin and other rewards, the community has gathered in a Reddit thread to voice their frustrations. “I can’t even get the free skin because I live in the UK and we aren’t even in the European Union,” said one user. Meanwhile, a different user claimed this is “pretty much a slap in the face” from Epic to players who dare “own an iOS device outside of the EU.” “I’ve been waiting for the Katalina skin since it was leaked and now I can’t get it free because NA iPhone,” commented another user. One chimed in, “I’m a Middle Eastern player, and I actually think this is extremely unfair.” Many other players in the comments were also disappointed and upset, mainly because not only Fortnite doesn’t run well on their phones but because playing on cloud services doesn’t count for these quests. One user wrote: “Yeah, the only thing is Fortnite sucks on Android, it sucks dead***, am barely getting 30 frames per second despite having a f***ing flagship tablet, STW, Fortnite Festival & Rocket Racing are unplayable, BR and ZB, are at disadvantage. it’s just another f***ing lazy mobile port.” However, there is a workaround to get this free skin regardless of your device. Many players suggest taking advantage of it before it gets patched out for those who struggle to get it.

Fortnite players slam Epic as Season 3’s Victory umbrella has been bugged for weeks – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Epic as Season 3’s Victory umbrella has been bugged for weeks Epic GamesFortnite players are still without a Chapter 5 Season 3 Victory Royale umbrella two weeks after the season’s launch despite multiple wins. When Chapter 5 Season 3 was released on May 24, players reported not being given their Victory Royale umbrellas after winning games. Fortnite on X addressed the situation, stating they were aware of the issue and working on a potential fix. Shortly after, Fortnite provided an update, announcing that the issue had been successfully resolved—except for those who won before the bug. However, they did promise to distribute Victory Royale umbrellas to players for their first win of the season. This has left some players who had already won in limbo. “Your first Victory Royale of the season now grants the correct Umbrella reward! For players who had copped their first win before we fixed this, we’ll provide another update when we’ve granted you your missing Umbrella,” said Fortnite. However, as Season 3 reached its second week, players were still reporting that they still had not received an umbrella, even though they had gotten wins after the issue was allegedly resolved. “No, and I’ve won 7 times I’ve already given up,” stated one commenter who was responding to the Reddit thread about the issue. Similar comments also stated that they were having the same issue and had gotten wins before and after the initial fix. Those who won after the fix reported receiving their Victory umbrella without any issues. “Next update Epic Games will grant umbrellas to players that didn’t receive them after winning a match. It’s a well-known bug,” said another commenter, pointing out that there was still time for Fortnite to make up for the absence of Chapter 5 Season 3 umbrellas. At the time of writing, Fortnite has not provided a further update about the state of the Victory Royale umbrella; instead, it has opted to focus on adding new items and balancing the current weapon pool.

Fortnite players slam devs’ solution to players not getting free Jack Sparrow Ship Glider – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam devs’ solution to players not getting free Jack Sparrow Ship Glider Epic Games / DexertoJack Sparrow’s Ship Glider may have been released as the top reward in Fortnite’s Pirates of the Caribbean Cursed Sails event, but players will have to wait before they can receive it due to its event quests being bugged. Fortnite’s Cursed Sails event set sail on July 19, 2024. By completing various Pirate Code quests, players have been able to obtain a collection of free and premium Pirates of the Caribbean skin and cosmetic rewards. However, the quests have been riddled with issues, such as quest completion and Battle Pass rewards not being granted. This has even included Jack Sparrow’s very own Jack’s Ship glider, which has widely been regarded as the best free reward you can get in the pass. Despite players having finished the lengthy task of completing four quests from each Pirate Code and obtaining all eight Map Pieces to unlock the glider, many have been unable to claim the reward. On August 2, Fortnite issued a statement via their FortniteStatus Twitter/X account to address the issue: “We’re also aware some players’ Pirate Code Bonus Goals are not being tracked as intended. So long as all eight Map Pieces have been collected, the Jack’s Ship Glider will be granted to your Locker once the event ends.” Some were patient and welcomed the resolution. “I was literally about to get on here and ask y’all about that. Thanks for letting us know” a Fortnite player responded who echoed the thoughts of a few. However, the majority of players were left furious and worried if they would actually receive the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean glider. “This was a big disappointment,” one player simply stated. “I better get my damn glider after this event,” another demanded. A player added: “This is horse s**t bruh. So your fix is to tell us to wait 3 days to be rewarded with what we already earned?” As many more hit out at Epic and called the wait time “Ridiculous.” According to Epic, Fortnite players will be able to claim their free Jack’s Ship glider after the Pirates of the Caribbean Cursed Sails event ends on August 6, 2024.

Fortnite players slam “disgusting” new Fortnite UI – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam “disgusting” new Fortnite UI Epic GamesThe Fortnitemares 2023 update came with a complete long-awaited overhaul of the game’s UI, although many Fortnite players have continued to slam it since its release. There hadn’t been major changes to Fortnite’s in-game menu system for a few years, the last time being all the way back in Chapter 2. Although, the game itself has had regular updates. This year’s Fortnitemares event features a fresh wave of spooky in-game quests, cosmetics, rewards, LTM modes, and more. Battle Royale players were caught off guard when the Halloween update revealed a massive change to the menu system when they loaded up the Battle Royale game. Not everyone enjoys change, and that has hit home with a lot of OG players of the game who have roasted the new UI. OG Fortnite players criticize major UI changes Fortnite’s new revamped menu system took a more streamlined sleeker design to make navigating the menu tabs less cluttered and simplistic. However, the removal of various selections, changes to menus, and taking away the classic slanted rectangle buttons for curved edges has sparked an uproar in the community. Many have compared the new UI design to be similar to streaming platforms and look like “cheap” knock-off of mobile games. While Epic Games tried to make it easier to use and faster for players, fans are far from convinced. Several OG players have flocked to social media to share their distaste, with one user on Reddit simply saying “What the hell is this,” with a screenshot of the new UI. “This is a Fortnitemare,” a player responded, as another commented, “One of the worst UI designs I have ever seen in the game.” Thousands of comments have followed online, with various fans calling it “disgusting,” “unbelievably bad,” “the worst,” and that they “hate” it. Some even stated that UI was now harder to use. Overall the reception for the UI revamp, which has been years in the making, has certainly been interesting and only time will tell whether fan’s opinions will change or the UI will undergo a revamp yet again.

Fortnite players slam devs over Kinetic Blade removal – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam devs over Kinetic Blade removal Epic GamesFortnite players aren’t happy about the removal of the Kinetic Blade, a change that comes just as Chapter 4 Season 2 is coming to an end. Epic Games introduced the Kinetic Blade at the start of Season 2, offering access to a sword melee weapon that can deal a good chunk of damage. It didn’t take long for players to discover an exploit that gave an unfair advantage to those who wielded the katana in battle. After completing a series of steps, which partially involved disconnecting and reconnecting wifi, users who took advantage of the glitch could eliminate opponents in an instant without the other person knowing what was going on. To combat the game-breaking issue, Epic started temporarily banning anyone who employed the exploit in-game. The studio eventually adopted more drastic measures by removing the katana from Fortnite in its entirety. Fortnite fans lament the vaulting of Season 2’s Kinetic Blade On March 24, Epic vaulted the katana across all Battle Royale playlists, making the weapon unavailable throughout the remainder of Chapter 4 Season 2. Players aren’t too happy about this turn of events, especially since this marks the second season in a row where the exclusive mobility weapon had to sit out the end of its run. One person wrote on Twitter in response to the removal announcement, “2nd straight season where the mobility melee item gets vaulted early after 3,000 different bugs.” Similar comments pervade a Reddit thread on the matter. Said one Redditor, “They took the hammer early last season, and now the katana. Why must the season-exclusive mobility be removed in the last few weeks of the season?” Suffice it to say, some are frustrated by the news. “Oh ffs what a joke. What a disastrous way to end a season,” reads a reply on Reddit. Meanwhile, other Fortnite players can’t help but wonder why this keeps happening. One confused user wrote the following: “They need to hire more devs. Something is seriously wrong at Epic Games right now. There is no excuse for this happening 2 seasons in a row.” Of course, troubles with the Kinetic Blade won’t slow Fortnite’s momentum. Chapter 4 Season 2 will conclude on June 9, with Season 3 following not too long thereafter. While Epic has yet to confirm concrete details, leaks point to the new season adding a desert and/or jungle biome.

Fortnite players slam Chapter 5 Season 2 “pointless” POIs – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Chapter 5 Season 2 “pointless” POIs Epic GamesFortnite players have criticized Chapter 5 Season 2 placement of the new POIs for making the rest of the map seem obsolete. Players were initially a little bit frustrated with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 after having to wait through 19 hours of downtime to play, but now that the update is finally here fans seem to love it. The Season, Myths and Mortals, draws inspiration from the Greek pantheon of Gods, introducing NPCs into the game like the mighty God of Thunder Zeus, and some seriously cool skins like the Poseidon outfit. Epic Games added new mythic items to the game, and also new POIs that players will have to brave if they want to earn the new items. But, Fortnite fans were upset with the effects that the map design had on the other areas of the map, essentially making them “pointless”. Fortnite players unhappy with new POI placement One player shared their disappointment about the new Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 POI design on social media: “Should have split the new POIs evenly, nothing to do outside of the red area,” they said, including an image where the new POIs and the small space in between them were marked in red. They weren’t the only Fortnite fan to feel the same about the new map, with others sharing their frustrations online too. “Medallions are way too close to each other,” complained one player. “Exactly, the rest of the map feels completely barren and pointless; it’s kind of depressing, even. They should have kept the bosses and previous mythics and simply added the new stuff on top,” agreed another player. Still, with Season Myths and Mortals not even a week old yet, some people reminded players that the popularity of the new POIs would only be temporary while the content is brand new: “Well tbf people will always go to the newest POI since the season JUST DROPPED,” said one player. Who can blame players for wanting to land at the new POIs when the challenge of facing Zeus awaits, with the reward for any victorious player being the powerful Mythic Huntress DMR.

Fortnite players slam devs for “robbing them” of Winterfest Cabin in 2023 – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam devs for “robbing them” of Winterfest Cabin in 2023 Epic GamesFortnite players are slamming Epic Games for “robbing them” of the Cabin in Winterfest 2023 where they can open their daily presents. While things have slightly changed in Chapter 5 Season 1’s iteration of the annual update, here’s what players had to say. Winterfest, Fortnite’s annual Christmas update, has arrived in Chapter 5 of Season 1, bringing with it a new LTM, themed missions, free daily presents, and a whole lot more. In addition, the whole island is already decked out for Christmas, complete with trees, lights, and the iconic Santa Battle Bus. Players have taken to slamming developers for removing the infamous Winterfest Lodge (also called Cabin) and robbing them of the thrill of opening presents, even though all the additions with the hotfix were welcomed. This further comes after players received three new experiences within Fortnite with the new season. The exclusion of the Winterfest Cabin in 2023 has players talking, and it’s starting to gain steam on social media. Some players have said that the update doesn’t “feel like Christmas” to them. Fortnite players upset at “no Winterfest cabin” in 2023 Fortnite players are now showing their displeasure at the Winterfest Cabin being absent from the 2023 update. The cabin was one of the key elements of the update as it allowed players to randomly open gifts, farm XP and experience cozy Christmas vibes. However now that it’s absent from Winterfest 2023, players are slamming Epic Games on social media for “robbing them” of the joy. One such user said, “The cabin was so cozy, I’m so upset. It was the best part.” Another chimed in, “I knew something was off this December.” A third user added, “Taking away the winter cabin was the dumbest thing to do. Sitting by the XP fire was great to put on your TV just to get a cozy feeling. Now all we get is a stupid tab for presents.” As the conversation around the lack of content around Winterfest 2023 is ongoing, there are still plenty of challenges for players to complete to claim free rewards.

Fortnite players slam Chapter 5 Season 2 for having the “worst” meta – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Chapter 5 Season 2 for having the “worst” meta Epic GamesFortnite players are calling Season 2 of Chapter 5 as one of the worst meta for solo players in zero build. Chapter 5 Season 2 centers around Greek mythology with the theme of Myths and Mortals. With the new season comes a selection of new weapons and weapon spawn-rates. The latter of which has been the pain point for solo players. This season has witnessed a significant surge in the availability of sniper rifles. They are now more commonly found in chests, as floor loot, and concealed within Weapon Benches scattered across the map. Players are now advocating for a reduction in sniper rifle spawns to mitigate the need for coming up with creative strategies to counter the seemingly endless number of snipers. Fortnite players call sniper meta “annoying” Frustrated players took to Reddit to share the issues with the current meta in Chapter 5 Season 2. While multiple comments surrounded the issues with sniper rifles, some started the issue had more to do with third-partying. “The meta in solo is third party, no matter the loadout,” said the top comment. “You hear gunfire, go. If you’re in a fight & you win, move quickly. The Cerberus medallion is the best because of this meta IMO.” Between getting caught in between a third party and snipers, players are getting fed up with playing solos in Fortnite. Despite this, players in the comments tried to give their strategies for combating snipers, such as using Shock Waves or being constantly on the move. “If you don’t have a sniper you might as well quit the game,” claimed the poster. “I just played a solo where I had 7 kills and not a single enemy that I killed had a sniper, nor could I find one. By the time of the top 10, there was basically nothing I could do given I couldn’t find bunkers and the cover was limited. Everywhere I looked there was a player in a bunker with a scope glint.” Fortnite is no stranger to vaulting or unvaulting weapons while increasing the spawn rates. Although with the season only having been out for just over one week, Fortnite hasn’t made any dramatic changes to the meta just yet.

Fortnite players slam Ariana Grande skin as “lazy greed” from Epic Games – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam Ariana Grande skin as “lazy greed” from Epic Games FortniteThe re-skinned version of Ariana Grande has Fortnite players discussing the issues behind Epic Games’ idea of repeatedly re-releasing skins at full price. Ariana Grande first made waves in the Fortnite community when she was immortalized in the game during an event in Chapter 2. She was featured alongside Eminem, Travis Scott, and other musicians. With her event, Ariana Grande also received an exclusive skin that players could purchase in time for the event. However, in Fortnite Chapter 5, the Ariana Grande skin is getting a new makeover in the form of a re-skin. The new version of the skin changes her brown hair and blue crystal outfit to all-out pink. This minor change has some skin owners thinking she will get an additional variant. Instead, Fortnite will roll out a new skin that players can purchase for 1,500 Vbucks. This is despite the skin looking very similar to the older version. A Reddit thread was created showcasing the similarities between the two skins and to give feedback on the “lazy greed” that Fortnite has presented. Now, players have started bashing Fortnite for recycling old ideas and not giving back to those who have already purchased the skin and didn’t have the chance to get an alternative version for free. “Not getting the new one. Honestly the 2nd Ariana skin should have been an edit. Also, why is the skin darker on the new one,” stated one commenter. And they weren’t the only ones to take issue with the 2nd skin, with multiple other users saying that it was better off being a variant instead of a completely new skin. Although some were quick to point out it wouldn’t make sense for Ariana Grande to approve a new Fortnite skin without any sort of revenue coming back to her, which would have happened if it was given out as a free variant. “Collaborators decide almost everything. For all we know, they could have requested this specifically. Also it’s weird that it’s always the collabs that have been lazy or overpriced recently,” added another commenter. Even with the backlash that the new Ariana Grande skin is receiving from the Fortnite player base, Epic Games doesn’t seem interested in wanting to avoid bringing back old skins. On the bright side, those who missed out on the Ariana Grande skin from years ago will now have another chance to pick it up for themselves.

Fortnite players slam “bland” and “boring” Chapter 5 Season 1 – Dexerto
Fortnite players slam “bland” and “boring” Chapter 5 Season 1 Epic GamesThe first season of Chapter 5 in Fortnite is coming to an end and players are starting to share their opinions on how this season stacked up against the others. Chapter 5 introduced a new movement system to Fortnite which was hotly debated by the community and tweaked multiple times. While the change was seen as negative, the new season also brought some of the biggest collabs to the game. The TMNT, Family Guy, and Metal Gear crossovers were a hit with players who enjoyed seeing their favorite franchises being brought into the world of Fortnite. However, outside of these crossovers, players were overall unimpressed with the season and its content. Now that the season is coming to a close, players are focusing on the aspects that Fortnite could have capitalized on like the bosses, medallions, and points of interest that could have made it more content-driven. Fortnite players criticize season 5’s lack of creativity A Reddit thread was created to allow players to share their thoughts on the first season of Chapter 5 before it comes to a close on March 8. While the majority of comments reflect a negative sentiment towards the content, there are some newer players who, having no prior experience with previous Chapters, appear to be impressed. “I thought it was just okay,” said one user. “The entire ‘Underground’ theme just seems like a watered-down version of the Heist theme from the last season of Chapter 4. The POIs were rather bland personality-wise; either snowy or Mediterranean. With the next season being Greek-themed, I’m afraid this won’t change much.” The new train mechanic was a big talking point underneath the post with multiple commenters saying that while the concept was cool, there was little content surrounding it. The same was said about the overall loot and weapons that were introduced in Chapter 5. “Loved it at first but hoped to get more changes through the season,” said another user. “We got almost none. The weapons or the whole loot was boring af, with more generic weapons. The shield was fun I guess, but didn’t save it. The game needs crazy, idiotic, fun loot to keep it fresh and fun.” The second season of Chapter 5 will be Greek-themed, a new concept for Fortnite, and feature multiple battle pass skins based on famous mythological gods and goddesses. A concept that has been highly anticipated by the fan base.

Fortnite players sick of “overpowered” weapon ruining Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite players sick of “overpowered” weapon ruining Chapter 5 Season 3 epic gamesOne particular weapon introduced in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 has left players feeling frustrated due to its damage and utility. As we get closer to the end of Fortnite’s Chapter 5, Season 3, it’s hard not to look back on all the new items and weapons introduced this season. We’ve got Mythic Nitro Cars, Nitro Fists, and even the all-new Magneto Power that allows you to deal damage and shield yourself. Despite the hype surrounding the Magneto skin in Fortnite, it’s clear not everyone is fond of the weapon the collab brings to the game. Granted, you can’t attack and use the Magneto Power as a shield at the same time, but that hasn’t stopped some players from claiming the weapon is “overpowered” in a Reddit thread. “They are the worst part of this season. I don’t even care about the cars anymore. I always found a way around them but these Magneto Hands are overpowered and awful.” Other players agreed with this take in the comments, with many of them pointing out how the weapon deals too much damage. Some of the comments even compared this with Waterbending, which was deemed OP last season. “95 damage, five shots and btw you can f****ing fly,” commented one user. One user wrote: “It’s not even the damage that pisses me off, it’s the absolutely insane speed between throws. There is physically no way to exit your burning car without being smashed at least one more time by those stupid rocks EVEN if you nitro fist IMMEDIATELY after the previous throw.” “This thing is so busted they could nerf damage AND throw speed AND the added mobility AND the stun lock effect on cars and it would STILL be good,” they added. “I can deal with Magneto and the fists, cars are manageable. But when it’s late game and you don’t have either, you’re screwed most of the time,” another chimed in. One user even went as far as slamming players who use the Magneto Power as having “zero skill.” There are still about two weeks left before the season ends, so until then, players will just have to be patient when it comes to dealing with the Magneto Power – unless Fortnite rolls out a hotfix that tweaks this weapon.

Fortnite players shocked to discover return of previously vaulted item – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked to discover return of previously vaulted item Epic GamesMany players have been enjoying the limited time game modes added in the 14 Days of Fortnite event during the festive period, but some players have been shocked to find an item which was vaulted by Epic Games long ago. On December 26, Epic announced that the Sneaky Silencers LTM would be returning to the popular Battle Royale game, but little did gamers know that they would also see the return of Smoke Grenades. The Fortnite item was introduced in Patch 1.9.1 but was removed from the game in March with Patch 3.5, so you can understand people’s surprise when they saw them reappear during the event. It is unknown as to whether their inclusion in the Sneaky Silencers LTM is intentional or not, but some players have been sharing videos on social media, clearly shocked by their return (as seen below). The item’s only real function, as you might expect, is to impair the vision of an enemy by creating a puff of smoke – similar to the Stink Bomb which was introduced in Patch 5.40, but without the damage. Smoke Grenades are in the Sneaky Silencer LTM pic.twitter.com/fvUmoqNqZJ — Fortnite News :santa::skin-tone-2::snowflake:️ (@FNBRHQ) December 28, 2018 It has happened before, where vaulted items and weapons have been known to pop back up on Fortnite, with cases such as the Infinity Blade, and some fans would like to see one or two of them make a return in the future. For example, one fan recently posted an idea to Reddit where they suggested Epic should bring back the Clinger to help combat the game’s X-4 Stormwing attack planes.

Fortnite players sick of Boogie Bombs “killing all enjoyment” – Dexerto
Fortnite players sick of Boogie Bombs “killing all enjoyment” Epic GamesFortnite’s Boogie Bombs were initially praised by the community for being added as a main counter to the overpowered Nitro-fueled cars in Chapter 5 Season 3. Epic finally returned the iconic Boogie Bombs to Fortnite as part of the May 30 hotfix update and issued several vehicle nerfs to stop the Nitro car dominance in the meta. However, the classic item’s return, seen as the perfect counter to Season 3’s Nitro cars, has been coming under fire over claims that it has only ruined the game once again. The June 7 patch leaving them unnerfed has only added fuel to the fire. In particular, the main frustrations have come from the maximum stack size of Boogie Bombs being 10, enabling players to unleash endless flurries of them against their enemies. After one player demanded the carry limit be changed to just four, floods of players chimed in to bash the classic item and rallied for it to be urgently nerfed or removed. “I feel like boogie bombs should stay this season, but a stack size of 10 is a bit much. I feel like 4 would be a good amount.” The OP continued, as a player responded: “10? I thought it was 8, and it’s already too much.” Others expressed they wanted them removed for good: “I don’t care how many stacks you have. I’m not playing this game until they are gone. I hate Boogey Bombs.” Another added: “I don’t want them at all. We needed a counter to cars, not a weapon that kills all enjoyment.” Meanwhile, various players blamed the community complaints: “That’s what people get for complaining about cars.” Some stated: “I asked for EMP grenades, not this” as a better replacement. EMP grenades have been leaked to allegedly arrive shortly in Chapter 5 Season 3. Despite Epic not officially confirming their return, rumors have been circulating that Epic will vault the Boogie Bombs in favor of these in the next patch update.

Fortnite players shocked by OG fan who hadn’t got a win in half a decade. – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked by OG fan who hadn’t got a win in half a decade. Epic GamesPlayers were shocked to discover that one player secured his first solo-win, in the new Fortnite OG season, after nearly five years of losses. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season “OG” has been released, and players have been loving the new and returning additions to the game. Epic Games brought back items from the past that players used to love, like the Grappler, and also made some changes that may have brought back the old “double pump” meta. Some players, especially those who have been playing the game since the Tilted Towers POI, have been thrilled about these changes, and some streamers have welcomed the changes as well – Dr.Disrespect even hinted that Fortnite legend TFUE, who retired from streaming, might make a return. One player managed to secure his first win in nearly a decade in Fornite Chapter 4 Season OG, shocking the Fortnite community. Fortnite community roasts player who secured first-ever solo-win One Fornite fan posted a clip of winning a 1v1, claiming their first solo win: “Been playing since Ch1 Season 3 and I only now just got my first solo victory!“ Some Fortnite fans congratulated the player, reminiscing over their first solo win: “Congrats my dude… nice clean victory.” But others couldn’t believe that this was the original poster’s first solo win, given that they had been playing for nearly five years, and commemorated the player’s determination “Not winning a single [solo] game in half a decade and still playing is insane.” However, it is unlikely that the Fortnite fan celebrating their first win in a while will be alone, as players who quit the game as Fortnite evolved will be returning as Epic Games return old “OG” features that players loved, such as unvaulting some beloved weapons.

Fortnite players shocked at The Weeknd being “sweaty” at the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked at The Weeknd being “sweaty” at the game Epic GamesIn a shocking turn of events, The Weeknd plays Fortnite, and fans have discovered he’s actually good at the game. Fortnite Chapter 5 is the latest season to hit the battle royale, ushering in a new era of weapons, movement, and secrets to uncover. Alongside the updates to the battle royale portion, there are three new modes to partake in — Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival — each paying homage to some of gaming’s most influential titles. When Fortnite Festival arrived, it was headlined by singer and songwriter The Weeknd, with a new batch of skins and music inspired by the artist. Most likely motivated by his Fortnite appearance, the songwriter has been playing the battle royale and sharing clips that have caught fans by surprise. The Weeknd shares Fortnite clips on social media Shared to his Instagram Stories, The Weeknd showed off snippets of his Fortnite skills. Various clips showed him demolishing the opposition with clean edits and even a Victory Royale. The problem with Instagram Stories is that after 24 hours, whatever was uploaded goes away unless saved. However, that didn’t stop fans from saving and compiling the clips, such as this one from Twitter/X user Kirawontmiss. The replies to the compilation loved what they saw. “Bro could win the Fortnite World Cup,” one user replied, while another said: “Bro is cracked wtf.” Some replies reiterated the gravity of the situation, such as “Imagine dying to someone and u see it on The Weeknd’s story.” While shocking, it’s not the first time The Weeknd has given fans an inside look into his gaming life. Throughout the years, he’s shown he plays Warzone, Ghost of Tsushima, and much more. Now that his Fortnite skills are on display, be careful. You may run into The Weeknd in Fortnite, and he may share him putting you in a montage on socials.

Fortnite players shocked at genius way to collect precarious supply drops in Zero Build – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked at genius way to collect precarious supply drops in Zero Build Epic GamesA Fortnite player has devised a creative solution for reaching supply drops stuck on the side of hills in Zero Build. As the name suggests, Fortnite’s Zero Build mode has all the same elements of the regular battle royale without the building elements. It pits players against each other with the sole purpose of using their shooting abilities rather than their building skills. Supply drops have not always been in Fortnite Chapter 5, they were removed from the game when it transitioned from Chapter 4 Season OG to the current season. However, Fortnite’s collaboration with TNMT has brought them back with a new purpose. One downside to having supply drops back in Zero Build is that they can sometimes get trapped in disadvantageous positions which may make it next to impossible to access. A common issue is these supply drops are getting trapped on the side of hills, which players can’t build up to grab. But one Redditor found a new use for the cardboard boxes in the game to reach the drops. Fortnite player makes cardboard box floor One player took to the Fortnite subreddit to post a video of their solution to getting a stuck supply drop. Instead of using wood or another material to build up to the drop, they decided to use their collected cardboard boxes to make a floor that would prevent them from falling off the side of the hill. Despite the clever solution, not all commenters beneath the post were convinced that this was the best way to solve the problem. Some people proposed that players could just come from on top of the hill and slide down on top of the supply drop. However, the poster confirmed that they had already tried that method and had been unsuccessful in staying on the hill and opening the supply drop from above. “That’s actually smart,” said one user. “I usually just ignore them if they’re in a compromised location, but now I’ll definitely try to remember this and try it out too.” So next time players are in Zero Build and happen to stumble upon cardboard boxes, be sure to pick them up as they may be able to help secure supply drops or other items in tough-to-reach places.

Fortnite players shocked 2 billion ammo glitch still exists in new season – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked 2 billion ammo glitch still exists in new season Epic GamesConsidering the downtime for Fortnite’s new season, players are shocked to find out that the 2 billion ammo glitch is still present in the game. Over the years, Fortnite players have encountered some frustrating glitches that ruined their games. One major example of this is the infamous glitch that prevents players from being unable to build, leaving them exposed in the open against enemies. Another frustrating issue that previously affected some players was being unable to sprint. Just imagine loading into a Battle Royale game, only to have your character moving at a predictable speed the entire time. But as it turns out, not all glitches are bad — at least, according to some players. There’s one particular recurring glitch that has made collecting ammo easier than ever, albeit in a strange way. As some players refer to the “2 billion shotgun ammo glitch,” this glitch causes a bot or NPC to drop a massive amount of ammo after getting eliminated. Apparently, some players have reported this happening quite a few times, especially during last season. Now that the new season is finally out, players are surprised after discovering that this glitch still exists in the game. This was shared by iFireMonkey, one of Fortnite’s well-known leakers, in an X post. In the screenshot attached to the post, their character was seen eliminating a bot, who somehow left behind 2,147,483,447 shotgun ammo. “Some bots are dropping 2 billion shotgun shells when eliminated this season, funny to see this glitch still here,” they wrote. Following this, some players in the comments claimed that they also had a similar thing happen. “Omg, I thought I was going crazy when this happened the other day,” one person wrote, sharing a similar image. Interestingly, despite this being a glitch, some players claimed they wouldn’t want it removed. “Best glitch I’ve ever seen. This is amazing for the whole squad to get max shotgun shells,” replied another person. While it’s unclear when this will get patched out, rest assured, players won’t have to walk an extra mile to find shotgun ammo during the game while the glitch is still around.

Fortnite players shocked as March Through Time event adds MLK to the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players shocked as March Through Time event adds MLK to the game Epic GamesEpic Games and Time Studios made an announcement on August 26 that they are bringing a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event to Fortnite, shocking Fortnite players and the gaming community in general. The title has become the king of crossovers in the battle royale space. From Marvel to Alien vs Predator, Fortnite has become a hub for all different types of entertainment franchises to be represented in. Fortnite has also hosted some huge events like a Travis Scott concert, which brought the games’ player base up to record numbers. The game also hosted an event called “We The People” in July 2020, highlighting the Black Lives Matter movement. While the popular game has touched on political topics in the past, it’s bringing in a serious historical figure to Fortnite, and players are in pure disbelief by it. MLK joins Fortnite and fans react The new Fortnite event is titled March Through Time, and is a celebration of the life and achievements of MLK. Epic Games community manager Ryan Broseker uploaded a blog post describing the event saying, “March Through Time will teleport players nearly 60 years in the past to a re-imagined Washington, DC called D.C. 63. Developed by members of the Fortnite Creative community, this fully immersive experience will allow players to witness the Civil Rights teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King.” Read More: What’s in September’s Fortnite Crew Pack? – The event includes a museum point of interest, as well as quests that be completed through co-op. Players are able to unlock a DC:63 locker spray by completing the Dr. King and Civil Rights movement challenges. Fans divided The video sparked an immediate reaction on social media, as the clashing of the seriousness of MLK’s message and the cartoon-styled Fortnite did not seem like a natural fit. They bouta have MLK flossing on fortnite I’ve seen enough — Trill Withers (@TylerIAm) August 26, 2021 A Twitter user named jeo highlighted the strangeness this event will cause in-game saying, “I understand the message and the reasoning behind MLK in Fortnite but it’s going to cause people to be acting real weird in game.” Read More: What’s in September’s Fortnite Crew Pack? – The event’s interactive museum is currently playing a loop of MLK’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech, which players can dance in front of. MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech is currently being celebrated with a interactive online museum in Fortnitepic.twitter.com/baWiQPtnT5 — Dexerto (@Dexerto) August 26, 2021 Fans are also pointing out the poor taste of putting MLK in a video game about shooting each other with guns. Overall, it seems there is no real consensus in relation to Fortnite including MLK, though having such a huge game share his messages of inequality and injustice is undoubtedly a positive boost. Some players are just concerned it’s not the right fit.

Fortnite players share the best way to get Rocket Racing cars – Dexerto
Fortnite players share the best way to get Rocket Racing cars Epic Games / Youtube: Rocket RacingFortnite players think completing the Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass is the best way to obtain new cosmetics for Rocket Racing. Rocket Racing, introduced in Chapter 5 after a tease at the Big Bang event, is one of the three new game modes. Despite having a lower average player count compared to LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, a recent leak hints at the arrival of a more challenging game mode for Rocket Racing, potentially sparking renewed interest. A downside to Rocket Racing is the cost of cosmetics. Fortnite added cosmetics to give players different vehicle options when the game was released. But a single car will set users back 2,000 or more V-Bucks. With the high cost of cosmetics, players have determined that completing the current season’s battle pass is the best way to get a new car and variants for Rocket Racing. Fortnite battlepass makes Rocket Racing car 950 Vbucks A Reddit post on the official Fortnite page had one poster complaining about adding a Rocket Racing car in the battle pass. However, the users beneath the post beg to differ, saying that the value is excellent in comparison. “Compared to prices in the shop, this is a freaking steal,” said one user. “Like the cars in the battlepass,” said another. “At least now I don’t have to pay for one.” Players are fuming over the exorbitant prices of Rocket Racing cosmetics, calling the current system nothing but a “scam.” Despite the outcry, Epic Games remains mum on any potential adjustments, leaving racers in the dust with no alternative pricing on the horizon. For the time being, Rocket Racing players will have to settle between getting the cars directly from the shop or grinding through over 100 levels in the battle pass to be able to obtain one. Thankfully, LEGO Fortnite takes the pressure off grinding XP, allowing players to earn it by simply being in a world.

Fortnite players say there’s “no excuse” not to have lightsaber pickaxes after TMNT leak – Dexerto
Fortnite players say there’s “no excuse” not to have lightsaber pickaxes after TMNT leak Epic Games/LucasFilmFortnite players are frustrated with Epic Games for not releasing lightsaber pickaxes after seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles leak. Fortnite has been known for its notorious collaborations with big brands and celebrities like The Weeknd, Naruto, and Star Wars. The most recent addition to this list has been the TMNT collaboration, which was initially released in December 2023. Now that the TMNT collaboration is expanding with two new skin additions and an event pass, fans are questioning why the Star Wars skin line was deprived of lightsabers. Fortnite has released multiple Star Wars-themed cosmetics, such as Darth Vader and Darth Maul. However, each cosmetic was specifically given different designs for the pickaxe that were not lightsabers. So why could Fortnite collaborate with other brands to get character-specific pickaxes but not for Star Wars? Fortnite players blame Disney for no lightsabers In a thread on Reddit and Twitter/X, fans discussed why Epic Games could not bring lightsabers to Fortnite. Both discussions were made after it was revealed that each character in the TMNT would be getting their own pickaxe and mythic weapon. “It’s not Fortnite,” said one Redditor. “It’s the people lending them their IPs. If TMNT allows them to use the mythics as pickaxes/vice versa, that’s because TMNT specifically allowed it in whatever contract they signed with Epic Games when they decided to do the Collab. This stands true for Star Wars as well, but the issue is Disney, who owns the IP, is extremely strict about their properties and how others handle them.” Commenters on Twitter had a similar sentiment, blaming Disney and Lucasfilms for why key cosmetics were left out of the Star Wars collaboration. Unlike Disney, TMNT has allowed Fortnite to add aspects of the series to the map, add an event pass, and approve LEGO versions of these skins. It’s unclear if Fortnite will collaborate with Disney again on another project surrounding Star Wars. This means, for now, players will have to focus on the upcoming TMNT event.

Fortnite players share feedback towards end of Chapter 5 Season 1 – Dexerto
Fortnite players share feedback towards end of Chapter 5 Season 1 Epic GamesChapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite is nearly over, with early March kicking off the new season. With a few weeks left, players are sharing their thoughts on how the season went. Fortnite Chapter 5 marked a large undertaking for Epic Games, as the Battle Royale evolved to include more than just zany gunfights and build wars. Open up Fortnite, and three new modes offer alternative ways to play via LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. That said, the Battle Royale portion received love from the devs via new gameplay additions like the mod system, a new map, and other movement mechanics. Now, with this season’s end on the horizon, Fortnite players are rallying together to talk about what this season did right and wrong. Fortnite players discuss Chapter 5 Season 1’s changes In a Reddit thread, Fortnite player Jumanji2WasAScam shared: “How do you guys feel about the changes? Do you like it or want Epic to go back to pre-chapter 5?” They go on to list highlights from the season — such as the change in art style, locker UI, and the mod systems — and how they pretty much negatively impacted their season’s enjoyment. For example regarding the locker: “Yeah, I’ve pretty much not messed with my locker since the new chapter because they messed it up so bad.” They concluded: “This is my own opinion, but this feels the least like Fortnite than at any point, and I hate it.” Their opinion wasn’t unpopular, with plenty of other players sharing similar reactions. “After about a month and a half, I just found the season boring. I wanted some meatier updates like Chapter 4, seasons where we got new POIs or small locations or map changes,” one player said. Others ripped into the mod system, as many found it boring and pointless. “Mods are completely useless, imo. For every weapon, there is one optimal setup and that’s the one everyone’s crafting,” one player stated. On a positive note, one reply said: “I’ve enjoyed the season. It hasn’t been my favorite, but it’s been new and different, which is good. I think a lot of the ideas introduced won’t stick around long-term, at least not for Ch 6.” They continued to share how the addition of the new modes such as Festival was fun, while the TMNT crossover was a neat nostalgia trip. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is set to arrive sometime in early March, so be sure to wrap up what you can.

Fortnite players say Epic is “milking” Peely skin after Peelverine reveal – Dexerto
Fortnite players say Epic is “milking” Peely skin after Peelverine reveal FortniteFortnite fans gave Epic Games the side eye after catching a glimpse of yet another Peely skin variant. Players are calling out Fortnite for “milking” this banana for profit. Peely made his debut in Fortnite on February 28, 2019, during Chapter 1, Season 8. Part of the “Banana Bunch” set, Peely quickly became a fan favorite with his fun design. Since then, Epic has released 15 different Peely skins, including Agent Peely, Polar Peely, and Toon Peely. While many players have embraced these skins, the relentless stream of variants is starting to cause frustration. The backlash intensified after the Peelverine variant – which combines Peely with a Wolverine-inspired look – was shown in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer and images leaked via data miner Hypex. Their post read, “Potentially ANOTHER Peely (Deadpool) Skin, they’re MILKING this skin” and included an image of three Peelverines hanging out with a Peely dressed as Deadpool (Deadpeel?). The reaction from players was critical. One user commented, “AND THERES STILL THE LEAKED KLOMBO PEELY COMING WHAT IS GOING ON LMAO.” This user pointed out another leak featuring a Peely with a Klombo drawing on its back, referencing the fan-favorite mascot from Fortnite introduced in 2022. Another vented, “we will never escape that god damn banana.” A third quipped, “Bout be over a 100 peelys soon.” While this number is quite an exaggeration, it’s not hard to imagine Epic Games reaching that many Peelys in the coming years. Despite the grumbling, excitement is building for Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 5, Season 4. This new Marvel-themed season, starting on August 16, promises fresh content and may signal the end of the current DC collabs. Fans are eager to see what Epic has in store next, even as they grumble about Peely’s endless variants.

Fortnite players roast “lazy” Epic Games for skins that re-use textures – Dexerto
Fortnite players roast “lazy” Epic Games for skins that re-use textures Epic GamesFortnite players have critized Epic Games for constantly using three similar textures for the skin styles released in the game. Fortnite’s focus on going back to its roots for the Chapter 4 Season OG paid off in a huge way after they shattered their player count records with over 44 million players in just one day. The update from developers Epic Games has continued to add various Chapter 1 nostalgic additions with numerous mid-season updates. However, not all the changes have been welcomed by the Fortnite community. Legions of fans widely slammed Epic after they age-restricted various amounts of skins and cosmetics, which led them to soon announce they will be reviewing the new feature. Now, long-term Fortnite fans have pointed out that Epic has appeared to keep using the “same three textures” for cosmetic skin styles released in the game. Fortnite OG players slam Epic Games for re-using skin textures Fortnite player Mikee369 took to Reddit to call out Epic with a user-created image that stated “Epic when they realized that they can use the same 3 textures on every single skin for edit styles.” It was accompanied by a range of screenshots of similar Fortnite skin styles and other images that reflected the three textures in question, with a background of dollar bills. The post, that was titled: “Did the CEO himself make them?” Received over 16,000 upvotes since it was posted and hundreds of comments from Fortnite fans giving their opinions. “It’s like printing my own money – Tim Sweeney” a player replied, as another added: “Epic try not to milk the same sh*t challenge (impossible).” A number of players started to question and provide reasons as to why it was seemingly happening, “Maybe it’s the fact that there is so much skins that they are running out of ideas.” “For the longest time, Epic has offered zero incentive to just buying the Crew pack every other month. This is their way of keeping people subscribed, by subscription-gating styles,” another suggested. Whether you are a fan of the cosmetic skin styles being added to the game or not, it will certainly be interesting to see if Epic hears the outcries from fans and makes changes to styles in future seasons.

Fortnite players run wild with gameplay ideas after Disney collab announcement – Dexerto
Fortnite players run wild with gameplay ideas after Disney collab announcement Disney/Epic GamesFortnite players are running wild with gameplay ideas and speculation following the Disney collab announcement. In a groundbreaking move, Epic Games and The Walt Disney Company announced yesterday that they are teaming together to create a whole new gaming and entertainment universe, which will allow fans of Disney’s classic stories and characters to enjoy them even more widely. Not only will the new continuous universe be compatible with Fortnite and provide players with a top-notch gaming experience, but it will also allow them to buy, watch content, and engage with tales and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and many more. When the news broke out, players ran wild with their ideas on how the Fortnite gameplay could look when the collab hits the game. Fortnite players imagine gameplay ideas after Disney collab news In an unexpected announcement, Disney released a full teaser video hinting at their upcoming collaboration with Epic Games to create an everlasting virtual universe for fans. Once the video was out, fans like 440continuer took to Reddit to see what other Fortnite players thought of the move. While several players discussed new game modes and possible UEFN experiences, the Fortnite player base had their own amusing expectations from the gameplay. One such player said, “Does this mean I will see Mickey Mouse cranking 90s on me?” Another chimed in, “With each day we get closer to Ready Player One.” A third user added, “If they bring out a Disney princess Battle Pass I’m gonna have to make my 3-year-old an account just in case she wants to play it later in life.” A fourth user commented, “The house from UP needs to be a glider.” While there were several ideas thrown around about the gameplay, players also discussed how they would love to see cosmetic outfits for Disney Dreamlight Valley, Frozen, Toy Story, Avatar, Mickey Mouse’s Clubhouse, and many more on other social media platforms. The release date for the said collab is still unclear, but players are hopeful that the “Soon(ish)” in the teaser meant somewhere close to the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Fortnite players reveal their “impossible dream” collabs – Dexerto
Fortnite players reveal their “impossible dream” collabs Epic Games / The Pokemon CompanyFortnite’s collab history has fans constantly cooking up their dream collabs, and now, they’re sharing some wild crossovers they’d love to see. Fortnite‘s collaborations have been a massive undertaking by Epic Games, as the developer has managed to amass an impressive amount of big-name media licenses for their game. Simply opening up the Item Shop will prove that, as Marvel skins, celebrity avatars, and more flood the in-game shop. It’s rather impressive, with leaks proving the roster will continue to grow. However, not every crossover is possible, given the work it takes to make them a reality. With that in mind, Fortnite players share what they’d love to see — their “impossible dream collabs.” Fortnite players share dream collaborations In a post shared to the Fortnite subreddit, one player questioned: “What is your “impossible” dream collab for Fortnite?” They started the discussion with a Legend of Zelda collab, adding: “Even if Nintendo is stubborn and stingy about it.” To date, there are no Nintendo properties in Fortnite. One player shared they’d love to see a Back to the Future collab, mentioning the sheer amount of possibilities Epic Games could implement with cosmetics across Rocket Racing and other core modes. In response to this suggestion, one player said: “Back to the Future items are in Rocket League. So I’m sure Fortnite will add it one day.” Aside from Back to the Future, another popular collab recommendation was Breaking Bad, with one player saying: “I would lose my f**king sh*t.” That said, the themes of Breaking Bad could prove hard to make this happen, since many believe the recent Disney x Epic Games deal could impose stricter rules on crossovers. Now that Fortnite Festival is a mode, a few other ideas drifted toward getting musical artists like Daft Punk and more, with players already sharing a Gorillaz-themed concept. The ideas continued to run wild with Adventure Time and Pokémon other big names. Epic Games has previously composed surveys to gauge player interest, so time will tell if these “impossible” collabs will come true.

Fortnite players revolt against Marvel over Doctor Strange Battle Pass skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players revolt against Marvel over Doctor Strange Battle Pass skin Epic GamesAs Epic Games continued its constant flow of Marvel high-tier skins in the Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 Battle Pass, many players have decided enough is enough. The Battle Pass was revealed on March 20, as part of the latest major update for the battle royale game. One of the biggest changes featured in the Season 2 patch notes was the sudden removal of its building feature, which has divided the community. Many big streamers have come out in support of the developers over the decision, though it’s not gone forever – as it’s confirmed to be coming back in a future season. Many casual players, however, have their eyes on another problem. Fortnite Marvel Battle pass skins wearing thin with players As part of the Season 2 Battle Pass, Doctor Strange is included as a Tier 100 skin – making it one of the hardest to obtain. While the character is certainly one of the most popular in the Marvel Universe, after three back-to-back seasons with Marvel-themed Tier 100 skins, the community is asking; when will it ever end? One Reddit post, with over 4,400 upvotes, said: “I like Marvel as much as the next guy, but three Battle Passes in a row with Tier 100 Marvel skins is a little much.” In the replies, one user said: “It probably does well financially, you can’t blame them for continuously doing what works.” Another added: “I’m so sick of all the super hero stuff. I like the original fun skins like Meowscles and Peely etc. This has probably been my least favorite BP to date.” Read More: How to Tactical Sprint in Fortnite – With a number of Fortnite updates added Marvel characters in recent months, there is a high chance that Epic Games struck a multi-update deal to include many different characters. Another post with hundreds of upvotes said: “Doctor Strange should not be a Tier 100 skin.” Whether or not this will the final season, or even chapter, including Marvel skins, remains to be seen. For Marvel fans, the grind towards the Doctor Strange Tier 100 skin will obviously be worth it – but others remain unconvinced.

Fortnite players reveal their “dream” collabs that need to happen – Dexerto
Fortnite players reveal their “dream” collabs that need to happen LawrenceOW / RedditA Fortnite Reddit post has sent fans into a frenzy as players discuss what their ultimate collaboration with the game would be, such as Pokemon and Zelda. Fortnite has become well-known for its various collaborations, as has its gameplay over the years, from star creators to global franchises constantly catching the headlines. After Fortnite took over the gaming world during its height of popularity in 2017 and 2018, Epic Games decided to make a landmark move of partnering with the Marvel Universe. In the game’s fourth season, the collaboration was released to promote the release of MCU film Avengers: Infinity War which was wildly successful, and the rest is history. The game has since collaborated with massive franchises, including Stranger Things, Naruto, NFL, Star Wars, and Jujutsu Kaisen to name a few. Launching playable characters with unique abilities and cosmetics into the game has played a huge part in Epic’s fanbase keen on engaging with the brands that join the game as they anticipate future drops. However, players want more than what has been provided thus far, which has sparked a debate on social media, with them speculating about future collaborations. Fortnite players make a cry for “impossible” collaborations to happen A Reddit user recently posted on the FortNiteBR subreddit expressing their desire for their “almost impossible to happen” collab with Nintendo’s Metroid Prime. What was initiated as a conversation among the community for their own dream collaborations, led to fans flooding in to provide their own takes on the topic. A considerable amount of players pointed out that although they would love for other Nintendo franchises to be added such as Pokemon and Zelda, their strict brand rules make it highly unlikely. Others in the community have shown a lot of support behind a Metal Gear Solid collab, with one user saying, “would be an instant buy for me.” Another chimed in to suggest, “Poke ball as a pickaxe”, implying the item from the famous show would make for a great cosmetic utility in Fortnite. Besides games, there was a lot of support for popular TV and movie franchises, such as Lord of the Rings, Godzilla, The Simpsons, The Boys and Barbie. In relation to this, Fortnite has seen a lot of success through its introduction of anime collaborations, such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Naruto. This has led many fans to call out for a legendary One Piece anime collab that has been speculated for quite a long time. Nevertheless, Fortnite continues to roll out more crossovers, as Epic Games returns with another collaboration with WWE releasing later this week.

Fortnite players request major change to Skye skin in Season 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite players request major change to Skye skin in Season 5 Epic GamesFortnite players have requested a major change to the popular Skye skin in Season 5, which would show her a little more love and stay true to her character’s artwork and look. Skye is an Epic rarity outfit that was unlocked at level 80 of the Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 battle pass. Since then, it’s become pretty common, with fans loving to knock about the island in the skin — but there’s been one key problem that now has a suitable fix. In all of her art, Skye has one sword, but as part of the Quest Friends set, she gets the Epic Swords of Wonder, which lets players wield two swords. Now, players are calling for her harvesting tools to be more true to her character’s design and make a single Sword of Wonder instead. In all of her artwork, Skye runs with a single sword, but the game only facilitated animations for characters to run two swords as their harvesting tool. Now that’s changed, fans of Skye want her to get a single sword, with BlackMageIsBestMage on Reddit saying that there’s “no reason not to” introduce a new harvesting tool or a new Swords of Wonder style that gives her the look fans have wanted the entire time. The Reddit post has since been removed by moderators but is still visible, and received over 3600 upvotes, proving how popular this idea would be and just how many fans Skye has. The sentiment is also one repeatedly shared by Fortnite fans online, so we would be surprised if Epic Games didn’t look to introduce a single Sword of Wonder soon if not to just appease Skye’s hardcore fanbase. That said, they’ve got slightly bigger issues to fix right now including the controversial “pay-to-win” Superhero skins, which players have frequently complained present a huge visibility issue in the game.
