Fortnite players reveal best way to level up fast before Chapter 5 Season 1 ends Epic Games / DexertoFortnite players in the community have revealed all the best ways you can level up fast and rack up your XP for your Battle Pass this season, as the end of Chapter 5 Season 1 is nearly here. Fortnite players are often looking for genius ways to earn XP fast and surge up the levels every season. As Chapter 5 Season 1 is finally drawing to a close, it is more important than ever to get XP to make sure you get all this season’s rewards, particularly from the Battle Pass. One player asked the question to the community, as players flooded in with waves of ways and exploits they have used this season that they can use to maximize their XP earnings fast and rank up quickly. Fortnite players show how to level up fast before it’s too late Fortnite player SanTNTino_1 called for help and asked: “How the f*ck do people level up so fast? Can I get any advice?” One player started with a somewhat genius way, “Best tip, let your nephew play,” as another responded: “I do this, let my 5-year-old jam it for an hour after school, lil man levels me 3, 4, sometimes 5 levels every time he just plays Creative.” However, If you don’t have any family or friends to use to grind your XP, then here are all the other genius ways you can storm through the levels according to the community. LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Festival Exploiting daily LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Festival quests have been a popular method since they were introduced this season. “I exploited the LEGO and Jam Track 5 level a day XP. I wasn’t enjoying this season at all so I grinded the easy XP,” a player stated. Head over to the Quests tab, to check out all of the daily quests on offer for the new modes, which are especially easy in comparison to others. Specifically, for LEGO Fortnite you can even exploit the XP without even actively playing: “I just go into the Sandbox game mode and sit in it afk. I believe it resets when the shop resets (like 6 pm CST?).” It is also worth noting that for the daily Festival Jam Track quests, “you have to change your track at least once every two minutes or it stops tracking.” Creative maps Many others suggested using particular Creative maps, which have been often overlooked, but certain ones can provide fast ways to rack up your XP. Here are all the best maps: Red vs Blue A Creative map type that was praised for its XP benefits, was ‘Red vs Blue,’ which we have a whole guide on the best Red vs Blue maps. But, for this, we would recommend using the most popular map called ‘Crazyy Red vs Blue’ which has fast close-quarters combat. Crazyy Red vs Blue map code: 2898-7886-8847 Tycoon Tycoon maps were also shared by many as their favorite Creative maps to use to level up quickly, with one stating they “feel illegal.” In particular, Super Tycoon is one of the most popular and best to use. Super Tycoon map code: 0769-4415-8818 Valhalla: Bossfight The map “Valhalla: Bossfight” was also mentioned. As one player shared: “I used this having fun killing zombies, collecting coins, and spam buying at the shop in the map. Max XP in an hour.” Another added: “Once you start getting less than 100 exp on chest/kills/shop purchases you’re close to max.” Valhalla: boss fights map code: 4420-8150-0081 Daily Battle Royale match quests Daily match quests are a key way to get easy XP while playing Battle Royale. Once you drop in, just make sure to select one of the three easy quest options Epic gives you and get that XP. Although these have been in the game for a while and flash up before every match, they can be often forgotten about. One player shared that by just doing these and the Rocket Racing quests daily, they were able to get to level 150. Please note, if any of these Fortnite methods don’t work for you, you may have just already hit your XP cap in those particular game modes for that day.

Fortnite players rejoice over Season OG’s removal of cars – Dexerto
Fortnite players rejoice over Season OG’s removal of cars Epic GamesFortnite OG’s return to basics has been lauded for many reasons, with some players loving the removal of cars from previous seasons. Epic Games “broke the internet” when the studio announced the arrival of Fortnite Season OG, a glorious return to the early days of the battle royale. As the name implies, Season OG sees Fortnite travel back in time, with Epic Games unvaulting a majority of the game’s early content. Legendary POIs such as vanilla Tilted Towers return, while the loot pool has been drastically trimmed down, creating a “strategic feel.” More love for the season is pouring in as fans are rejoicing over the lack of vehicles. Fortnite OG players “glad cars are gone” In a longer opinion shared on FortNiteBR, Fortnite fan ‘yesjon’ explained how Fortnite OG’s approach to vehicles has been refreshing. “I never realized how lacking the vehicles were in the past few chapters. It was seriously just realistic, hard to maneuver automobiles with an unvaulted baller thrown in every once in a while (And even then they would force us to use fuel). Why is Epic so focused on making the game realistic?” They went on to explain that the return of golf carts feels infinitely better than the vehicles from the previous seasons. Yesjon also mentioned the nature of golf and shopping carts is more in tune with Fortnite’s “classic fun style,” as they’re sick of the “realism” cars presented. Yesjon’s opinion turned out to be more popular than anticipated, as fans flooded the thread with similar thoughts. “Agreed. The idea of using a grappling hook hamster ball, Golf cart and shopping carts felt way more unique then just regular old cars,” one user replied. Of course, yesjon’s inclusion of “realism” did raise some rebuttal from players. One player jokingly commented: “I love going outside and using my rocket propelled battering ram to go to the shop where I then have to fight a time travelling vampire before descending into the jungle next to my house to solve some temple puzzles to obtain a hammer made of magic space rock that I can use to propel myself by hitting the floor.” No matter where you stand, it’s safe to say Fortnite OG has been a breath of fresh air in a game that’s become quite complex in recent years. Enjoy the moment while you can, as future updates will take players through all kinds of phases from the battle royale’s history.

Fortnite players rejoice as “OP” snipers finally nerfed in patch 28.10 – Dexerto
Fortnite players rejoice as “OP” snipers finally nerfed in patch 28.10 Epic GamesPatch 28.10 introduces nerfs to snipers in Fortnite, and players are sharing positive feedback on the changes. Since the launch of Chapter 5 Season 1, snipers have been a hot topic in the Fortnite community. This season, the Reaper Sniper was introduced, boasting high damage and a three-round magazine making it fairly forgiving to use while it provides a high chance to one-shot enemies. There’s also the new weapon modification system, allowing players to customize snipers to their liking, making it even harder to identify a sniper. Needless to say, players have been clamoring for nerfs and changes for what feels like forever. After a long wait, partially due to the holiday break, Fortnite patch 28.10 introduces long-awaited nerfs to snipers. Fortnite players react to sniper nerf According to the official patch notes list: “The Reaper Sniper Rifle has received a slight reduction in bullet speed (and an increase in bullet drop), as many Reaper snipes were too easy to land with little counterplay.” Fortnite analyst BoopNL_ demonstrated the changes in a clip shared to his Twitter/X account, with his feelings summed up with a simple “W.” As mentioned, sniper nerfs have been a long time coming, with modes like Zero Build almost unplayable due to no counterplay to snipers. One player reiterated that sentiment: “Zero Builds might actually be playable again,” with others agreeing. Of course, not everyone was a fan of the changes to snipers. “That sucks. I like the Sniper as it was. I definitely don’t like this nerf,” one player reflected. Another said: “They’re just taking the fun out of everything.” Fortnite isn’t the only game going through the motions of balancing snipers, with Warzone facing its fair share of criticism in that regard. Yet, this change to snipers was needed, and something that will definitely make modes like Zero Build a much fairer mode to participate in.

Fortnite players rejoice over “legendary” Chappadoodle Easter egg on Season OG map – Dexerto
Fortnite players rejoice over “legendary” Chappadoodle Easter egg on Season OG map Epic GamesFor longtime Fortnite fans, the release of Season OG has been like reliving the past. However, their excitement has been amplified ever since they discovered the Chappadoodle Easter egg on the OG map. Here’s what they said about it. The new Fortnite Season OG provides a rush of nostalgia to veteran fans of the game as they are dropped back to the Chapter 1 map. With the update, players also gained back classic weapons like the Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun and more to help them grab the coveted Victory Royale. OG fans can relive their favorite moments from Chapter 1, or even make their own new ones. The Chappadoodle headstone in the desert biome is one of the many Easter Eggs that Epic Games has placed on the map for dedicated players to find in the new season. In one of the most famous rescue attempts in Fortnite history, prominent YouTuber Muselk attempted to prevent a player named Chappadoodle from falling down a cliff and being eliminated. In honor of the eliminated player, Epic later added a headstone where the rescue mission was carried out on the Chapter 1 map. Once again, OG fans and Muselk are both celebrating now that the Easter egg has been re-added to the game. Muselk and his fans rejoice over Chappadoodle Easter egg in Fortnite OG A screenshot of the new Season OG map, which takes players back to Chapter 1 Season 5, was posted by Fortnite YouTuber Muselk in his most recent X post. North of Paradise Palms, on the Season OG map, he is shown in the image weeping in front of the Chappadoodle’s tombstone. Muselk states, “Never Forget” accompanied by a weeping emoji, as he recalls his rescue mission in the image. Acquainted fans of the YouTuber expressed their enthusiasm for the Easter egg as they acknowledged his rescue efforts. One such fan said, “My friend and I went there immediately to see it”. Another one chimed in, “There’s rifts there now so nobody ever suffers as he did”. A third joined in to suggest, “Now we just gotta find Chappadoodle and get him in there with you wearing Drift and an ATK.” A fourth added, “I paid my respects today”. After hearing the sentiments of the fans, Chappadoodle and Muselk reunited in the game five years later while donning the same outfits as they did before and exchanged hugs in front of the tombstone. The player community was overcome with emotion upon witnessing the incident. One fan even referred to it as a “emotional day” for OG Fortnite fans. While there’s a bunch of such Easter eggs and cool additions to be found around the Season OG map, stay tuned to our Fortnite coverage to discover what’s more to come in the coming weeks.

Fortnite players rejoice as Double Pump meta returns to the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players rejoice as Double Pump meta returns to the game Epic GamesFortnite players have discovered that the infamous Double Pump meta has returned to the game following the battle royale’s recent mid-season update. Fortnite’s patch v25.11 introduced a number of new features and made several adjustments throughout the game’s arsenal. One of the major changes was the vaulting of the Heavy Sniper, which has been replaced by the Explosive Repeater Rifle, making it the only heavy ammo weapon in the game. Players were initially skeptical about the removal of the Heavy Sniper and the value of the new weapon due to the absence of an optic sight, despite the fact that it fires explosive rounds. However, it appears that they have finally found the right technique to use it and couple it with another weapon to recreate the most notorious combo in all of Fortnite history: the Double Pump meta. The reimagined meta enables players to rapidly switch weapons and fire two consecutive shots, causing tremendous damage in the process. Although the pump shotgun is currently unavailable in Fortnite, players can still use the meta to their advantage. Fortnite players reinvent the Double Pump meta in Chapter 4 Season 3 A video was posted on Twitter not long after the most recent Fortnite update showing a player using the brand-new Explosive Repeater Rifle with the Havoc Pump Shotgun in a Battle Royale match. Surprisingly, the player employs a tactic reminiscent of the double pump meta, in which they swap between weapons after quickly firing a single shot. As a result, the player can quickly fire two bullets, dealing significant damage to their opponents without any delay, similar to the Double Pump meta. The latest iteration of the meta uses the Explosive Repeater Rifle which has a tighter crosshair, fires explosive rounds with a mag size of six shots, and is the ideal mid-range weapon for dealing heavy damage to opponents. Pro Fortnite players like Ninja, who was recently seen dominating the lobby alongside his brother and TimtheTatman, have also acknowledged and approved of the new iteration of the traditional Double Pump meta. A player who used the meta in the game tweeted, “You can rock 4 of them…its OP….disgusting”, as he sheds light on the effectiveness of the strategy at hand. Another one chimed in on the discussion and said, “Now it’ll get hotfixed lol gg”, referring to the possibility that Epic Games could address the issue in the next update by introducing a weapon delay, thereby completely removing the meta. You can now test out the meta for yourself in-game, however, you’ll need to pick up the latest Explosive Repeater Rifle and play a few matches to get a feel for it. Check out our guide on how to get it in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.

Fortnite players recall “sweaty” Battle Pass following Superhero Day – Dexerto
Fortnite players recall “sweaty” Battle Pass following Superhero Day Epic GamesFollowing Superhero Day, Fortnite players are reminiscing over a sweaty Battle Pass that required some tough grind in the past. In an ode to Superhero Day, Fortnite users are missing a classic superhero crossover from Chapter 2 Season 4: Nexus War seasonal update, introducing Marvel heroes and villains to the game. The Battle Pass solely focused on Marvel skins, and unlocking them and progressing over level 200 required a huge effort. While Epic released multiple quests, new Mythics, an LTM, and a live event at the time, it was still sweaty enough for some players to level up. One player posted on Reddit and asked players if they managed to finish the Nexus War Battle Pass. To which, another replied, “I have no idea how I didn’t get a higher level. I played 437 matches, had 89 wins, and I’m pretty sure I did all the quests/coins. Stopped playing after that and got back into Chapter 5 Season 1.” Some players argued how the grind was “crazy” for which they had to complete “every single quest available, across all the incredibly unbalanced LTMs there was.” They are thankful for “unlimited quests that gave 1K XP each” back in the day and players could stack multiple quests in a match. A fourth player suggests, “One of the few seasons I got all the super styles. Loved that season, really wish Epic wouldn’t lock collabs to Battle Passes though. Seriously, sell them in the shop, and give everyone the normal styles. Heck, include the super styles with some quests too.” Fortnite players are no strangers to grinding a Battle Pass to get their money’s worth. They hustle each season to get to level 200 and unlock all the rewards contained in the pass including the Bonus Rewards section that’s locked past level 100. Epic releases plenty of quests each season that upon completion help them level up faster. On the other hand, the three new game modes and UEFN maps also grant XP to players making leveling up far easier. However back in Chapter 2 when only Battle Royale and Creative were the only methods to gain XP, players wish they had as many options then as they do now.

Fortnite players recreate almost perfect replica of iconic Call of Duty Zombies map in Creative mode – Dexerto
Fortnite players recreate almost perfect replica of iconic Call of Duty Zombies map in Creative mode Epic Games / ActivisionWhen Epic Games launched Fortnite Creative, they knew that their legion of creative fans would make incredible builds, but a player took his love for a classic Zombies map and made it a reality in the expansive sandbox mode. Fortnite Creative released on December 6 to Battle Pass owners, and is Epic Games’ third offering under the Fortnite banner, along with Save the World and Battle Royale. The immersive creative mode lets players set up their own rules and make anything they can think of including recreations of timeless maps. YouTuber KRNG Brush and Twitch streamer MiscManiac recreated the iconic map originally from Call of Duty: World at War, Der Riese as best as the Fortnite Creative tools allowed for. The remake is enormous and features damn-near identical paths, turns, fixtures and elements from the Nazi Zombie base. Brush took to Twitter to post a short walkthrough of the multi-level map, that showed off key locations such as the Mainframe, the Hangar Garage, teleporter rooms sans the actual teleporters, the animal testing labs and even what appears to be Mystery Boxes with Teddy Bears on them. Even with the collaboration of MiscManiac, the map took the two creatives 12 hours to complete. Remade the Call of Duty Zombies Map “”The Giant”” (Der Riese) in Fortnite Creative mode! Spent about 12 hours total on this map with @MiscManiac trying to get as close to the original as possible. pic.twitter.com/7ZmfgNKirD — KRNG Brush (@Brush) December 12, 2018 Users on the social platform chimed in with their delight of the map, one asked for a recreation of the Zombie map Kino, to which Brush confirmed is on “the list to remake.” Fortnite Creative has been teeming with life since its initial release, and will be released to all players on December 13.

Fortnite players puzzled over Captain Jonesy skin changes on Nintendo Switch – Dexerto
Fortnite players puzzled over Captain Jonesy skin changes on Nintendo Switch Epic Games/DexertoFortnite fans who play the battle royale on their Nintendo Switch and wear the Captain Jonesy skin may realize something looks a little off. The Captain Jonesy skin is available in the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass and resembles the iconic Captain America superhero. But Captain America doesn’t wear glasses, so why does Captain Jonesy? Well, he’s not supposed to, unless you’re playing Fortnite on your Nintendo Switch. One Fortnite player shared an image of what their Captain Jonesy skin looked like in-game, and for some reason, he was wearing glasses. The poster even shared a few more images in a reply just to prove that it wasn’t an edit. They weren’t alone in this strange occurrence either, as other players chimed in to say they also had this issue. One response said they were also having this problem, although their friends never saw them in glasses while wearing the skin. Strangely, they also said, “lately i’ve stopped seeing them though, it’s so weird.” As questions flooded in asking about the glasses, as well as why their character had a black outline, the poster admitted their Switch was a first generation. “She’s barely holding it together, honestly,” they joked. Although this is a good lead on the cause of it, other fans attempted to figure out why this was happening. One reply thought it was because “it’s using the exact same hair they used for vengeance jones,” and somehow the hair and glasses were connected. This glitch could be happening due to the Switch “not being able to load assets properly,” they continued. While the glasses are supposed to be hidden, the Nintendo Switch could be failing to hide them for some Switch players. Interestingly, another fan reported this issue happening while playing on their mobile phone. “Then the next game I played his glasses were gone,” they said, deeming it a weird bug. Although the glasses suit Captain Jonesy nicely, it’s interesting to learn how Epic Games may go about creating certain skins using old assets and how that can affect gameplay through glitches.

Fortnite players reach breaking point with “impossible” All Sweat Summer quests – Dexerto
Fortnite players reach breaking point with “impossible” All Sweat Summer quests Epic GamesFortnite’s All Sweat Summer quests have been living up to their name since they launched, with some in particular leaving players baffled over how “impossible” they are to complete. Epic Games unleashed its annual summer event once again in 2024 with a fresh roster of cosmetic rewards for players to earn by completing quests. However, Epic revealed that brand-new quests will continue to be released throughout the event every day. These have been gradually increasing in difficulty as each day goes by and players have finally reached breaking point. On July 8, Epic released two quests. One of which was to “Win a Victory Royale,” and if that wasn’t enough, the second was to “Win a Crowned Victory Royale,” by winning two Battle Royale matches in a row without losing the crown or picking one up mid-match. Several posts have spawned across the Fortnite community over their disbelief for the “impossible” challenges, as the player Megazard02 simply stated in a Fortnite Reddit post: “Alright Epic, what the sweat is this.” “What bulls**t, I won a Crowned Victory Royale yesterday and it’s rare for me to get it,” a player said, as one more replied: “Nooooo I’m bad at the game wtf.” Another added: “All Sweat Summer, no fun, super grindy, bare minimum of rewards.” On July 9, Epic then followed up with two more. This time “Collect a Victory Crown” and the even harder “Win a Victory Royale while on a Wastelander Challenge” quest. Fortnite player enderjaca posted a screenshot of the quests in the Fortnite Reddit, with the title: “They’re just messing with us now.” “It’s getting ridiculous. What’s next, get a head shot with a sniper over 100m while jumping? Or get a Victory Crown while holding all 3 Medallions?” one commented. Despite the complaints, some players chimed in to put the rest of the community on blast: “It’s called All Sweat Summer for a reason.” To earn all three exclusive rewards, you will need to complete up to 20 Summer quests. But, it is widely believed that there will be plenty of alternative quests to tackle, “Luckily you can do other easy challenges, I believe there is 30 or more so getting the 20 done is just fine,” one claimed. However, others weren’t as convinced. “That’s what I was thinking but those challenges got harder every day and I really wonder what kind of challenge are waiting for us after those,” a player responded. Fortnite players will have up until August 16 to complete every All Sweat Summer quest and claim all their cosmetic rewards.

Fortnite players “pray” Epic doesn’t nerf new OP anti-vehicle meta – Dexerto
Fortnite players “pray” Epic doesn’t nerf new OP anti-vehicle meta Epic GamesFortnite has a new meta to counter vehicles running rampant in Chapter 5 Season 3, and players are praying Epic doesn’t nerf it. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 brought another hotfix this week on July 2, which added the Magneto Quests to unlock Wasteland Magneto skin and cosmetics for Battle Pass owners. Alongside those quests, a new Magneto Power item joined the loot pool, which players can now find across the island. The item launches heavy projectiles when used and also creates a metallic shield using Magneto’s powers. When players initially used the item, with the likes of content creators such as SypherPK, they were amazed at the damage it inflicts on enemies. However, the item also deals significant damage to vehicles at the same time that causes them to explode in just a few projectile throws. Due to this, players are lauding the item as the new anti-vehicle meta that can help them counter Mythic Nitro cars that are zooming around the island. At the same time, they’re hoping that Epic doesn’t nerf the overpowered item, where one player said, “I am praying and hoping hard that they don’t get nerfed. They’re very fun.” Another one chimed in, “Tbh I can see it get nerfed damage-wise. 95 damage is crazy cool until you’re the target.” A third player wrote how most items this season can allow a player to stay “airborne” and how they’d prefer to do the same. However, one player pointed out Epic’s summer break and said, “Epic is on holiday till the 15th (July), so no major changes will be made till then.” When Chapter 5 Season 3 was released and players got their hands on the Mythic Nitro Cars, these Mythic vehicles quickly overpowered the pros and became meta. Due to this meta shift, pros like Clix, Ninja, and many more expressed their frustrations with this season’s heavy reliance on vehicles. Soon after they raised their concerns, Epic made several balance changes and nerfed most cars and items like Nitro Splash to make it a fair gameplay experience in the competitive modes, as well, now that FNCS is underway.

Fortnite players praise Medallions as being more “valid” in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite players praise Medallions as being more “valid” in Chapter 5 Season 2 FortniteThe Fortnite community seems to love the new Medallions in Chapter 5, Season 2, which have completely different powers each, unlike the ones from the previous season. Medallions are a new addition to Fortnite, first introduced in Chapter 5, Season 1. In the previous season, the Medallions were able to regenerate the player’s shield over time, with the tradeoff that their location would be exposed on the map. At first, they were quite OP in the game, letting players play more aggressively the more medallions they had. Due to this, Epic nerfed them at some point, and it seemed like after that, they were not used as often as before. Now, in Chapter 5, Season 2, the way Medallions work has completely changed. Instead of regenerating shields, Medallions give players different God-like powers, depending on which boss they defeat. They still show your location on the map, but so far, the community seems to love these new changes. “The medallions are way more valid than last season,” claimed a player in a Reddit thread. “One of the best things they did this season was the change made to the Medallions. Shield recovery was cool but the god powers are awesome and don’t give people the option of only engaging from a distance because you can heal endlessly.” “[I don’t know] who’s had the pleasure of collecting all four yet but it’s [so] awesome, It’s legit god mode. [In my opinion] best to worst are Cerberus, Zeus, Hades, and Ares,” they explained. Based on the current loot pool, the possible reason that Cerberus is considered one of the best Medallions is due to the ability to dash around the map. When paired with the Thunderbolt of Zeus, players can become harder to hit as they hurl lightning bolts from the sky. Players in the comments mostly agreed with the OP since the new powers help shake things up in the game. “I love the medallions now, mostly because last season, every medallion did the same thing: regen shield instead of giving some cool power,” one person wrote. Another said, “They feel so much more balanced this season. I love it. The Cerberus and Zeus combo is insane movement.” “I definitely like how they promote an aggressive and creative playstyle rather than just a highly passive and defensive playstyle. Gets fun if you combine the Aspect of Agility and Zeus’ thunderbolt,” a third chimed in. Though some players dislike having their location shown to everyone on the map, overall, the community seems to be having fun with the Medallions in Chapter 5, Season 2.

Fortnite players praise Spider-Man web-slinging as better than Marvel’s Avengers – Dexerto
Fortnite players praise Spider-Man web-slinging as better than Marvel’s Avengers Epic GamesSpider-Man and Fortnite have finally crossed over and fans are absolutely loving the web-slinging gameplay, saying it’s even better than official Marvel games such as The Avengers. While the Spider-Man Mythic Web-Shooters are only set to release on December 11th at 10 AM ET, players have found a way to access them early and the results have been a hit. To make things a bit funnier, or perhaps even embarrassing depending on how you look at it, Spider-Man was recently added to Marvel’s Avengers on PlayStation and the friendly neighborhood hero hasn’t been as well received. For one thing, the animations and web-slinging in the Square Enix title have been criticized for being too slow compared to Insomniac’s title and now even Fortnite. https://twitter.com/YassinLNey/status/1467651159624142854 Fortnite Spider-Man trumps Avengers Spider-Man Taking to Twitter, user Yassin showed off the web-slinger in action, praising the gameplay as “insanely good.” The clip spread like wildfire, amassing over 1.6M views. In another video, he showed that the websurfing from vehicles is incredibly fun too, which drew some baffling responses from fans. “How tf is the web-swinging better in Fortnite, than the web-swinging is in the actual Avengers game?” one confused gamer asked. Hey @insomniacgames please add this in the sequel. Pleeeaaaasssseeee — endriva08 (@SlashSlicy) December 6, 2021 Others even begged Insomniac to add the gameplay feature to the upcoming sequel to their Spider-Man game, slated to release sometime in 2023 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. “I am willing to pay extra for this,” another fan said in response. With No Way Home hitting theaters on December 16, Spider-Man fans have a lot to look forward to. Now, hopefully Insomniac can listen to fans and incorporate some of these gameplay elements into the next game. As for Marvel’s Avengers, however, it seems like fans have spoken and give Fortnite their Spidey-stamp of approval over Square Enix’s take on the iconic Marvel hero.

Fortnite players praise Glasswork Super Style’s “small but insane detail” – Dexerto
Fortnite players praise Glasswork Super Style’s “small but insane detail” Epic GamesChapter 5 Season 1’s Super Styles are here, and the Glasswork Super Style is catching a lot of praise from players for a unique detail involving sunlight. Since their introduction in Chapter 2 Season 1, Super Styles have been a method to reward dedicated Fortnite players, creating yet another way to customize in-game outfits. Progress past the level 100 cap, and you’ll unlock progressive styles that evolve as you continue the grind. Chapter 5 Season 1 continues the Super Style trend, with patch 28.10 bringing three unique styles for five of the Battle Pass skins. Players can unlock the Expressionist, Prismatic Terazzo, and Glasswork Super Styles for Hope, Oscar, Nisha, Montague, and Valeria. Of the three styles, players have grown quite fond of the Glasswork style due to its interaction with light sources in-game. Light passes through Glasswork Super Style and players love it Discovered by Twitter/X user, ScyanYT, when facing the sun while using the Glasswork Super Style, light will pass through the skin, making it shine bright. Praise flooded the replies, with one reply saying: “This season is so detailed, and I loved it they really put the details into it. “Another stated: “These Super Styles actually fire. Can’t believe they added so many details to these styles.” With Peter Griffin in the game, one of the replies lamented the missed opportunity to give the titular father a Super Style. and they could have gave Peter style that cause it would fit great with him cuase pic.twitter.com/HJgGezPYwo — CGL ඞ (@CptnGhostLord) January 23, 2024 To date, Super Styles have been in Fortnite for over three years now, with players noticing previous themes have always centered around a gold scheme. With Chapter 5 Season 1’s themes diverging a bit from the norm, here’s hoping Epic Games continues to experiment with the Super Styles formula.

Fortnite players pleasantly surprised by Season OG’s lack of healing – Dexerto
Fortnite players pleasantly surprised by Season OG’s lack of healing Epic GamesFortnite OG is off to a meteoric start, with many players enjoying the added challenge drastically reduced healing has brought. After five years, Fortnite returned to its origins with Fortnite OG, a tremendous return to the battle royale’s roots. It’s off to a roaring start, with the player count reaching unprecedented numbers on launch day. It’s for good reason, as this return marks a throwback to simpler times. Hot drop at Titled Towers, catch a flick at Risky Reels between battles; there’s enough “OG” for everyone. However, the blast from the past hasn’t been ideal for everyone, as some players are realizing the loot pool returned to its roots as well. Fortnite players share their thoughts on Season OG’s healing As the name implies, Fortnite OG is a return to a classic time in the battle royale’s lifetime: more specifically, Chapter 1, Season 5. With that jump backward, the loot pool has also slimmed down tremendously. Gone are the myriad of health items players have grown accustomed to in recent years. This change has caused some confusion amongst the player base, as some are wondering where the healing items are. The above Twitter/X user went on to clarify their observation wasn’t a complaint, yet the Fortnite Competitive Reddit thread has been peppered with the same question. Many of the responses praised the developers for this return to form, as it focuses more on strategy than infamous “heal-offs”: “For the last couple of years the amount of heals has tripled completely to how the game used to be. Back in the day you actually had to be strategic and careful with heals.” That said, as the current season unfolds, items will continue to fill up the loot pool, possibly bringing players “back to the future.” We’ll see how that influences the healing situation in Fortnite OG, but for now, enjoy the bandages and abundance of Chug Jugs.

Fortnite players praise Doja Cat for “keeping it real” & slamming Avatar’s Waterbending mythic – Dexerto
Fortnite players praise Doja Cat for “keeping it real” & slamming Avatar’s Waterbending mythic Doja Cat/Epic GamesFortnite players are applauding Doja Cat for her brutal and “real” remarks as she slammed the current Avatar mythic Waterbending in the current season. The Avatar Waterbending mythic has gotten Fortnite players riled up this season, with Doja Cat being one of them. In a series of posts on X, the Grammy-winning artist criticized the Chapter 5 Season 2 item after a gameplay experience with it. “Fortnite wouldn’t be so f***ing embarrassing if they made lobbies where people with actual aim skills and FPS experience didn’t deal with losers using f***ing Waterbending and Chains of Hades”, said Doja in a post on X. Now when it comes to Waterbending exclusively, she elaborated, “Waterbending is a f***ing crutch (if) you are not good at the game. Because of Waterbending, I would become severely depressed if I had to rely on any of these stupid non-f***ing weapons.” However, players who shared a similar sentiment called Doja “a real one” for expressing her honest opinion about the overpowered mythic item. One such player said, “It’s gotten to the point where if my squad gets clapped by Waterbending it’s not even frustrating or annoying any more, it’s just ‘yeah, that makes sense’.” Another chimed in, “Agreeing with Doja Cat regarding a Fortnite weapon was not on my 2024 bingo card.” Waterbending has been a problem for several Fortnite players this season simply due to its damage count and range that can eliminate an enemy in seconds. The weapon’s ability to instantly reload and have infinite ammo is also a worry for some using Assault Rifles or Snipers to damage a distant opponent. Prior to this, Doja took a dig at Chains of Hades and later deleted the tweet, which resulted in the item being removed from competitive mode altogether.

Fortnite players plead with Epic not to “waste” Battle Pass slot with “trash” skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players plead with Epic not to “waste” Battle Pass slot with “trash” skin Epic GamesFortnite players call for Epic to not return the “trash” Fish Thicc skin to the Battle Pass for Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite players will not have long to wait before Chapter 5’s next season and its Greek Mythology theme finally kicks off. Epic Games plans to shake up the Battle Royale universe once more with Season 2, which they have constantly been teasing. This has included a new Greek-themed NPC, an inventive Titan’s Hand and Pandora’s box event, as well as various official images depicting Greek gods. One that has been hotly discussed is the arrival of all the new skins and cosmetics launching into the game. This is especially in regards to the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass. With leaks and rumors constantly being circled, players in the community have made it known to Epic that they do not want the “trash” Fish Thicc skin to return to the Battle Pass. Fortnite players call for Fish Thicc to not be in next Battle Pass Fortnite player MeowsclesOnlyFans posted an image of the Greek-themed Fish Thicc statue at the Ruined Reels POI to the game’s subreddit. With Greek Mythology set to takeover Season 2 along with a whole new Battle Pass, they pleaded to Epic: “Praying we don’t get a BP slot wasted on this. We just had a Fish Thicc skin less than 2 seasons ago.” One Fortnite player stated: “All of the fish skins are trash and a waste of a slot,” as another added: “I thought I was the only one who hates Fishstick. I hate Peely too. I don’t get why a sentient Bannana became the mascot.” “Even if there wasn’t a Fish Thicc skin recently, I still just wouldn’t want another Fishstick skin in the Battle Pass in general,” a player said, as the OP simply responded: “Keep that garbage in the Item Shop.” The general consensus was that players didn’t want him to take place of one of the Greek gods: “If they make him the actual Poseidon skin I’m gunna be pissed. Zeus looks good so far, they are siblings ffs, surely he won’t be a fish.” Many instead echoed: “If it’s item shop, I’m more than ok with that. If it’s Battle Pass, I’m less than ok with that.” To which the OP even admitted: “Agreed. That way people who missed Chapter 4 Season 4 can get him.” Epic Games has not confirmed or provided any clues towards any of the skins or cosmetics that will be included in the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass for Fortnite.

Fortnite players beg devs to bring back “iconic” cosmetic – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg devs to bring back “iconic” cosmetic Epic GamesFortnite players claim they miss this type of “iconic” cosmetic that was only available in the OG days and beg devs to add them back. Fortnite‘s cosmetics have come a long way since the game’s first collab with Marvel in 2018. Since then, what seemed like a merely Battle Royale game with building mechanics has become a massive cultural phenomenon, featuring characters from different movies, TV series, anime, and even real-life celebrities. What makes the game’s cosmetics even better is that they often feature unique animations and effects that players seem to love. And when it comes to that, it’s hard to forget the “iconic” pet back blings that were introduced in the OG days of Fortnite. Not only do these back blings react to the player’s gameplay, but others can also pet the cuddly creatures, making them quite unique. Unfortunately, this kind of back bling has yet to return in the game, and players have demanded them to be brought back. In a Reddit thread showcasing some of the pet back blings in Fortnite, one user claimed that Epic would “make tons of money” if they brought them back to the game. “Players who didn’t play during chapter 1 want them,” they added. The majority of players agreed with the OP in comments, with some of them claiming they want them “so bad” and that it would be a “smart” move to do. “Yea, we’ve barely got any since chapter 1, and they were battle pass only,” one person wrote. Meanwhile, another user suggested, “Toys and Pets NEED to return.” One person said they would “100% love” a baby Klombo pet back bling, referring to the massive dinosaur-like creature in Fortnite that appeared in Chapter 3. “Pets were the most iconic thing in BR no other game has them,” another person wrote in the comments. Despite some players wanting pets to be brought back to the game, others were skeptical of their return. One user explained that pets’ designs and animations take more time to develop, and they’re rarely used due to their “bulky” look. Another user also pointed out that devs also have to “fix” them, explaining that half their pets have “lost their animations.” While it’s unknown whether or not pets will be brought back, the next season is fast approaching, and there are many other new cosmetics players can look forward to.

Fortnite players plead for revert to Mighty Monument bug after hotfix update – Dexerto
Fortnite players plead for revert to Mighty Monument bug after hotfix update Epic GamesEpic Games fixed a strange Fortnite bug that prevented the gigantic Foundation statue, also called the Mighty Monument, from flying away but players are asking for a revert after the hotfix update. Glitches are a common occurrence in battle royales due to its live-service nature. When they pop up, devs are usually quick to make sure they don’t hinder the gameplay experience. Shortly after the Fortnite 19.20 patch, players noticed that the landmark could be pried from where it stands with a little bonk from a tire. As fun as the interaction was, the Fortnite devs patched that up with a hotfix update on February 2. It wasn’t long before people were reeling from the update since there wasn’t much downtime from when this glitch was discovered to when it was fixed. We’ve resolved an issue where the Mighty Monument statue wasn’t firmly glued to its foundation – and we appreciate everyone’s funny clips! pic.twitter.com/GysTIBfaHB — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) February 2, 2022 “Fun’s over boys. Time to pack it up,“ one person said. Another added: “Damn. And I’m still at work for another hour. Why do you have to be so efficient Epic?” Meanwhile, there were some players who were hoping for a revert to have a bit more time with the Might Monument bug, clamoring to “bring it back” while others said, “please undo this, at least in battle labs.” Though it was a fun ride while it lasted, Epic had to act fast since people recreating the glitch would also cause massive lag to the entire match lobby. People were reporting bad cases of dropped frames, which probably explains why the Fortnite developers chose to fix it the same day. While players can no longer pry the Foundation statue from its perch, some in the Fortnite community are hopeful that Epic will bring back the glitch (or a memento) of it in the future.

Fortnite players petition Epic Games to return patch notes – Dexerto
Fortnite players petition Epic Games to return patch notes Epic Games delay of any patch notes for Fortnite since the start of Chapter 2 drove some players to start a petition calling for the updates list release. As with past updates in Chapter 2, Fortnite v11.11 arrived with no official patch notes to go along with it. This situation has led to some players creating unofficial Fortnite patch notes of their own in an attempt to figure out exactly what’s going on during each update. Epic Games so far have shared no reason for the absence of patch notes or even addressed the matter at the time of writing, which has led to players trying other ways to get their complaints heard. A lot of people seem to want patch notes back The Fortnite news account @FNBRHQ started the petition on Twitter, which said patch notes were needed “for the game to evolve.” It also called on fans to “unite and sign” a change.org petition asking Epic Games to return the regular official patch notes. We need Patch Notes for the game to evolve. It’s a fact, not an opinion. Whether you like it or not, we should unite and sign this, just for #Fortnite: https://t.co/CrkL4rLxEh — Mikey (@MikeDulaimi) November 13, 2019 The online petition website may not have the ability actually to do anything about the problem. Still, a large number of signatures (over 2,500 at the time of writing) could show how many people want the notes back. Patch Notes are crucial for the future of the game,” the online petition claims. “If the players of the game are not informed on what changes are being made, their decisions will remain private, and therefore, the game won’t be able to evolve or improve.” In closing, the petition argues, “players can’t judge a change if they haven’t been informed of it.” Will we ever see patch notes again? Epic Games has given no reason for the lack of patch notes in Chapter 2, but there are theories out there that claim the company is trying to give players an authentic Season One experience with no update lists. Whatever the reason is, it doesn’t make sense from a competitive point of view either when a publisher removes basic patch notes on updates to the game, so players are aware of changes. Read More: Where to find the hidden ‘I’ for Fortnite’s Week 6 Missions Unfortunately for some players, patch notes’ whereabouts are currently as unknown as the official update list for Fortnite v11.11.

Fortnite players plagued by infinite sprint and no sprint glitches – Dexerto
Fortnite players plagued by infinite sprint and no sprint glitches Epic GamesGame-breaking glitches don’t impact Fortnite often, but infinite sprint and no sprint bugs plague players. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is in full swing, and Season 5 is on the near horizon. Season 3 breathed new life into the battle royale, and millions of players still queue up on the Battle Bus daily. Despite dominating the battle royale landscape, the critically acclaimed game doesn’t come without its blemishes. A Zero Build sky glitch secured players easy victories, and a new bug worked its way onto The Battle Royale Island. Players shared evidence and reported issues of infinite sprint and no sprint bugs. A Reddit user claimed they experienced an infinite sprint bug and shared a video of their character running infinitely. In some instances, this glitch could be beneficial. Running away from the storm or enemies would be a breeze, but trying to engage in a gunfight would be a nightmare. Fortuntaley, there may be a solution, or at least an explanation, behind the strange occurrences. The Fortnite community shared similar experiences and also acknowledged a no-sprint glitch. One player responded, “Bros getting the infinite sprint glitch while I’m getting the no sprint glitch, wow, this game has a lot of glitches.” A second user added, “this has been happening to me for weeks now.” Several players did their best to diagnose the problem. A third Redditor concluded, “From my experience, it only happens during the first battle royale (with or without builds) match once you launch the game. Subsequent matches, creative, and Save The World doesn’t have this.” For now, the only solution is to leave your first battle royale game after launching Fortnite, avoiding any issues. We will provide an update if Epic Games release a more permanent fix.

Fortnite players on Samsung believe they’re owed free Ikonik skin – Dexerto
Fortnite players on Samsung believe they’re owed free Ikonik skin Epic Games/SamsungEpic Games has pulled Fortnite off of the Samsung app store in protest of a new policy blocking side-loading apps on the devices. Now Samsung users are demanding the Ikonik skin from Epic Games for free since they believe they’re entitled. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney revealed that the publisher has now pulled off Fortnite from the Samsung Galaxy store in protest of the manufacturer’s new feature called Auto Blocker that automatically declines installation of third-party apps on Samsung phones. According to Sweeney, it obstructs users “from installing competing stores”, which he claims is unfair. Since Epic has been fighting legally with Apple and Google to force them to enable app sideloading and third-party app stores, the move by Samsung causes another hurdle in bringing Fortnite to mobile devices. As a result, Samsung users who have used free cosmetics ever since Fortnite first launched on mobile believe they are entitled to a free rare Ikonik skin. To those unaware, Ikonik was a free cosmetic skin that was rewarded to users of the Samsung Galaxy S10+ who installed Fortnite through the Galaxy Store and then claimed the free skin. It’s been 5 years now and the outfit is one of the rarest Fortnite skins out there. Players who missed out on the opportunity and are playing Fortnite on a Samsung device are demanding the publisher reward them the outfit for free as part of hazard pay that’s preventing them from installing any future game updates from the Galaxy Store. One such player said: “New free Fortnite skin incoming.” Another wrote: “Ikonik time!” A third commented: “I personally love the Ikonik skin and emote and would totally use that but I never got the chance to get it due to it being from before I used to play.” Since it’s quite unlikely that such a rare skin as Ikonik will make a comeback, those who are playing Fortnite from the Galaxy Store are keeping their hopes up for a free reward in the coming weeks. However, it remains to be seen if it’ll happen.

Fortnite players mourn loss of “beloved” healing item in Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite players mourn loss of “beloved” healing item in Chapter 5 Season 3 FortniteFortnite players agree that the Med-Mist consumable should permanently return with Chapter 5 Season 3. The Med-Mist was an alternative healing consumable that was added in Chapter 3 Season 1 and brought back during Chapter 4 Season OG. Instead of a Medkit that could be used while standing still, a Med-Mist would allow the user to heal while on the run. Fortnite changed healing with Chapter 5 by allowing players to walk while using Medkits, Bandages, or Shields. But the community doesn’t feel like walking while healing is enough, especially with the introduction of Chapter 5 Season 3. Season 3 introduced a new meta to Fortnite with the addition of vehicle mods and Nitro, bringing a fresh, fast-paced dynamic to the game. Being constantly on the move can make healing a struggle, even if there are items like Slurp Cactus spread throughout the map, which is why fans feel bringing back the Med-Mist is a must. In a Reddit thread about vaulted consumable items, multiple players agreed that the Med-Mist should return in the future. “Med-Mist should have been a permanent healing item,” stated the top comment. Not everyone was convinced that the Med-Mist was necessary, given that players could already move while using Shield and Medkits, a feature introduced after the item first appeared in Fortnite. However, with everything in Chapter 5 Season 3 being centered around movement, others argued that being able to heal while running would be the perfect solution. “When we had Med-Mist, we were still able to run while healing. Now, while we can move with the Medkit, it’s a walk. I’m sure that’s part of the risk-reward of using it. I just miss Med-Mist because of being able to run while using it,” said another commenter. Another benefit of having Med-Mists return from the Fortnite vault is their 150 healing capacity, compared to Medkits which only heal up to 100 health and are single-use items. Additionally, Med-Mists can be used on allies, similar to Chug Splashes. The Med-Mist has been in the vault for almost a year now, but the community’s desire to bring it back could mean its potential release or the creation of a new item with similar features.

Fortnite players mourn Peter Griffin after he’s wiped from new season map – Dexerto
Fortnite players mourn Peter Griffin after he’s wiped from new season map Epic Games / FOXFortnite players are now mourning the loss of Peter Griffin as all traces of him is wiped away with Chapter 5 Season 3. One of the more popular battle pass collaboration skins, Peter Griffin, was all the rage during the first season of Chapter 5. He received his own NPC that walked around Snooty Steppes and got a plethora of cosmetics to compliment his in-game skin. While Peter Griffin was whisked away from the game when Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 began, the developers decided to leave behind some of the easter eggs from the previous season. A flag with Peter Griffin’s face, similar to the “Petoria” flag from Season 2, and a fountain were left for players to admire. With the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3, the game has undergone a significant change. All remnants of Peter Griffin, including his flag and the fountain, have been completely eradicated, symbolizing the end of an era in Fortnite. “The Peter Griffin statue… is lost media?” asked one user on X. A reply in response to another post asking if the statue would survive the changes of the upcoming season, which he unfortunately did not. The new Fortnite season has been heavily discussed on social media due to its new vehicle meta and lackluster items. Now, the community has one more thing to say about Peter Griffin’s disappearance, hoping Epic Games would have kept him in the game in some capacity. “Can’t believe they got rid of Peter and the train in the same season,” said another user. Fortnite hasn’t added any more nods to Family Guy since Chapter 5 Season 1, when cosmetics were added through the store and the Battle Pass. Regardless of whether players wanted to see more characters added to the game or not. With the new season there is seemingly no hope for Peter Griffin to come back through map-specific teasers or additional skins from the show.

Fortnite players mourn “dead” Team Rumble mode in Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite players mourn “dead” Team Rumble mode in Chapter 5 Season 3 Epic GamesThe Team Rumble mode in Fortnite has been a popular choice for a while, but in Chapter 5, Season 3, it has not received all the attention it used to. For a while now, Team Rumble in Fortnite has been a great alternative to the usual Battle Royale mode for those who prefer a more fast-paced experience. Also, since you can respawn upon death instead of getting sent to the lobby, many players have used this mode to complete quests quickly so they can move on and do other things. However, with Fortnite Reload finally coming into the picture, combined with meta changes, it’s no secret that this mode hasn’t gotten the attention it used to have. Now, some players have expressed that they’re sad to see how the mode has progressed. In a Reddit thread titled “Is anyone else kind of sad that Team Rumble is dead?” one user mentioned that they play Team Rumble to have fun and “not deal with sweats.” “There’s like no one playing to the point where I have like 3 teammates. If there is anyone who still plays Rumble sometimes, don’t you agree that cars are ruining Rumble,” they added. Many other players agreed with the user in the comments, claiming that the mode was fun “back in the day.” However, with all the recent changes, it certainly has not been the case. “I think Team Rumble is a really fun mode, but this season is really unfavorable for it with the map and loot pool. It’s just simply not feeling good enough (compared to previous seasons’s stuff),” commented one player. Another player pointed out that this current chapter is terrible for Team Rumble mainly because you “can’t mod, and the storm is questionable.” Following this take, a different user replied, “Your only option for modding is bunkers, but it is definitely possible. Storm, on the other hand, is complete s****. The lack of good loot also doesn’t help, so unless you keep a bunker to yourself, you’re stuck with green and blue crap.” “I play the mode quite often, but it definitely needs to be improved; the storm is too fast, the loot pool typically leads to one-sided fights, and the removal of bosses and NPCs makes me sad,” one chimed in. While a portion of the comments argued the mode isn’t dead, especially if you try to switch servers, many felt that it needs a lot of improvements to restore it to the way it was before.

Fortnite players mock Valorant for “copying” their pickaxe into new melee – Dexerto
Fortnite players mock Valorant for “copying” their pickaxe into new melee Riot Games/Epic GamesFortnite players are mocking Valorant devs for allegedly replicating an upcoming melee weapon in the Wonderstallion Valorant bundle from Epic’s Battle Royale pickaxes. Valorant will relaunch its Night Market on August 19th, along with a fresh new Wonderstallion Cosmetic Bundle for players to purchase. The bundle is based on unicorns and stars, adding a burst of color to the game. However, one cosmetic item in the bundle drew the attention of Fortnite players, who instantly identified its likeness to the Rainbow Smash pickaxe from the Battle Royale. The Wonderstallion Melee hammer features a similar shiny star-studded handle, a five-point star at the foot, and a unicorn horn on top. As a result, Fortnite players have been mocking Valorant devs for being “fans” of the Battle Royale game and using the pickaxe’s likeness in their next weapon. Furthermore, numerous players pointed out that the Wonderstallion Hammer resembles a cross between the Rainbow Smash and Star Wand pickaxes from Fortnite, due to the star at the bottom of the hammer. “Fortnite community cooking y’all,” said a Fortnite player. “I’ve already seen it somewhere,” wrote another. A third user who prefers the original, commented, “Can’t even hold a candle to the OG.” On the other hand, Valorant players who weren’t fans of the unicorn design also turned in their thoughts as one wrote, “When we said we wanted more girly skins this is NOT what we meant.” Another chimed in, “Btw Riot you don’t need to make radical manly skins and then radical girly skins, etc, it is getting boring.” However, a player thought that Valorant would be a “port in Fortnite” just like the latest Fall Guys collab in the latter. Valorant’s Wonderstallion Bundle is expected to be released around the next Night Market rotation, and interested players may purchase it for roughly 3,400 VP, including individual guns for 875 VP apiece and the melee hammer itself for 1,750.

Fortnite players mock weapon names in new Underground season – Dexerto
Fortnite players mock weapon names in new Underground season Epic GamesFortnite’s newest season introduced a new suite of guns, and players are sharing how complex the names have become. After unprecedented levels of success, Fortnite OG is done, although it isn’t goodbye forever, as the blast from the past mode will return in 2024. In its place, Epic Games delivered Chapter 5, Season 1, titled Underground. This season of Fortnite is a massive entity, with new modes on the horizon, new locales to explore, and plenty of cosmetics to earn. After the simplistic detour that was Fortnite OG, fans have noticed Chapter 5 has ushered in a new wave of complexity. Players reflect on Fortnite Underground weapon names As mentioned, one thing players appreciated about Fortnite OG was its simplicity, at least when it first arrived. A few highlights included a smaller loot pool, the return of classic POIs like Tilted Towers, and vehicles vaulted for a short period. Chapter 5’s arrival reverses all that, and alongside a new suite of additions, new guns have entered the loot pool, such as the Thunder Burst SMG or Hyper SMG. However, the names of some of the new weapons have thrown fans off for a loop, especially right after the OG season. Weapons once called “Drum Shotgun” or “Heavy Sniper Rifle” have an absurdly long name that doesn’t help indicate how good it is, leading to this meme from the game’s Reddit channel. Plenty of others joined in on the fun with their take on Fortnite Underground weapon names. “All-rounder, thunder burst SMG, ambush, ranger, pistol, frenzy, auto shotgun, iron, warrior, striker AR, nemesis AR,” one player so kindly put it. Another shared: “Guys, look! I found the New Super Deluxe Assault* Rifle & Knuckles 8 HD Remake Remaster Featuring Dante From The Devil May Cry Series!!” As you can imagine the rest of the takes became increasingly complex as players joked about the creativity on display. Hopefully, Epic Games visits this thread and borrows a few of the names to use for future weaponry. They’re about as good and creative as it gets. Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1 is currently live, and full of fun weapons to use.

Fortnite players may soon be able to swim underwater – Dexerto
Fortnite players may soon be able to swim underwater Epic GamesFortnite leakers have uncovered a new animation for swimming underwater following the V12.41 update patch – but is it a new mechanic or a part of an upcoming in-game event? The V12.41 Fortnite update went live on April 21, though it wasn’t the game-changing patch that some fans might have been hoping for. Instead, it was jam-packed with content gearing up for the Travis Scott Astronomical event, a new limited-time mode called Arsenic, as well as fixing a few lingering bugs. Though, the new content did give leakers plenty of files to unpack and dig through – as they were able to find the new Travis Scott icon series skin, accompanying backblings, glider, sprays, and harvesting tool. Yet, they are also stumbled upon an interesting new animation that has fans asking plenty of questions. The animation was tweeted out by Skin-Tracker showing a Jonesy skin appearing to swim underwater – something that you aren’t really able to do now outside of diving down in order to grab a speed boost. What was shown by Skin-Tracker is different from the usual swimming animation that players currently see in-game, leading players to suggest that Epic Games are dropping a whole new mechanic in the near future. Example: Will show more when everything else is done pic.twitter.com/MHlYkjGtVS — Skin-Tracker (@SkinTrackerCom) April 21, 2020 However, the exciting prospect of being able to fight players underwater doesn’t appear to be something that Epic is actually considering right now. Reliable leaker iFireMonkey posted the ‘Gameplay Cues’ for the Astronomical event and, spoiler alert, one of the final ones indeed relates to going Underwater. *EVENT INFO LEAK* Here are all the Gameplay Cues regarding what will happen during the event. pic.twitter.com/bnz3FYEkAS — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) April 21, 2020 Of course, while the animation is almost certainly going to play a role in the live event, the fact that Epic have worked on could mean that it is something they might introduce in the future. We’ll just have to see how the Astronomical event plays out first and what the developers have got in store for us after that. Only time will tell.

Fortnite players may soon be able to sell loot as new details leak – Dexerto
Fortnite players may soon be able to sell loot as new details leak Epic GamesA fresh Fortnite leak has revealed more details about the previously leaked feature that will allow players to sell loot to NPCs. The new leak shows how you’ll be able to tell which NPCs are in the market to spend gold bars. As the battle royale market has become more and more populated by new games, players are switching between them all, and wanting certain features to follow them over. In an earlier season, fans of Apex Legends accused Fortnite of copying their loot vaults, but that hasn’t stopped either game from taking inspiration from the other since. Though, Epic Games have been seemingly taking inspiration from outside the battle royale genre. Back in December, a leak revealed that the devs were planning a Minecraft-like system where players could sell loot to NPCs dotted around the map. That leak claimed that the feature was going to be arriving in Season 5, but as the season starts to draw to a close, that hasn’t been the case just yet. Many fans have been eyeing it up for Season 6 instead. Regardless of when its set to arrive, leakers and data miners have still been uncovering new details. Reliable insider Hypex revealed that NPCs who are in the market to buy loot will be indicated by a special icon – a money bag with a dollar sign on it. “When you sell an expensive item the NPC is supposed to do the “Make It Rain” emote,” tweeted the leaker on February 28. “I have no idea if they scrapped this idea or if its gonna have limits tho! Also, the prices for selling loot to NPCs are the same prices as weapon upgrades.” Also the prices for selling loot to NPCs are the same prices as weapon upgrades — HYPEX (@HYPEX) February 28, 2021 As the leaker notes, things may have changed ever so slightly in regards to the animations, but Epic will surely have something cool up their sleeve. As for when it’ll go live in-game, well, that’s a case of waiting and seeing what happens. The start of a new season seems the perfect time for a big new feature, and Season 6 is just around the corner.

Fortnite Players Manage to Get Inside Mysterious Purple Cube – Dexerto
Fortnite Players Manage to Get Inside Mysterious Purple Cube Fortnite players have managed to get inside the huge, mysterious purple cube which appeared seemingly at random on the battle royale map during week 7 of season 5. The cube was beamed down from the sky in a purple bolt of lightning, but there is little indication as to what it all means, and developer Epic Games is remaining characteristically tight-lipped. However, some determined players have worked out a way to get inside the cube – and have a look around, although admittedly there wasn’t much to see. After players discovered that jumping repeatedly on top of the cube and using your pickaxe would launch you high into the air, it appeared to glitch and drop their character models inside. Judging by the darkness and the fact that the teammate’s body was only half visible, it doesn’t look as though it is intended for players to get inside the cube. Unfortunately this means there are very few clues still as to the significance of it, but that hasn’t stopped avid Fortnite fans speculating. The most common idea is that the cube is some form of portal through space and time, linking in with the ‘Worlds Collide’ slogan of season 5 in some way. Some players think a mix of time periods in history could be coming, with a makeover to the map expected in season 6. Possible clues hint towards a Dinosaur or otherwise prehistoric concept, with large Dinosaur models on the map in the new ‘Paradise Palms’ map location. Season 5 is expected to end in the first week of October, and Epic Games will likely have more clues and in-game events coming to ramp up the anticipation for whatever they have planned.

Fortnite players mad as Battle Pass V-Bucks locked at insane level – Dexerto
Fortnite players mad as Battle Pass V-Bucks locked at insane level Epic GamesFortnite players are furious over Battle Pass V-Bucks being locked behind an insane level that is unachievable to many. The most precious asset in Fortnite is the virtual currency known as V-Bucks, which players can spend to buy cosmetic skins, the Battle Pass, and access to higher tiers of the pass. Players are continuously looking for new ways to earn V-Bucks, whether through seasonal Battle Pass incentives, in-game competitions, or giveaways. Free V-Bucks have been available to Fortnite Battle Pass members as a component of both paid and unpaid tiers since the pass’ debut in Chapter 1. For example, without paying for a Battle Pass, leveling up across your account will earn you about 400 V-Bucks. Having said that, if you complete all levels, you will receive 1500 V-Bucks if you hold a Battle Pass that is worth 950 V-Bucks. There was a period when players could get all the V-Bucks in the Battle Pass before level 100. It was a convenience and provided them more time to accomplish the Bonus Rewards tier easily. The current Chapter 5 Season 1 does not, however, follow that trajectory. Since Epic has locked V-Bucks beyond an insane level 144 until players can unlock all the V-Bucks, many are upset. Fortnite players furious over locked V-Bucks in Battle Pass In the FortniteBR subreddit, a user revealed that getting all the V-Bucks in the current Battle Pass requires a player to reach level 144. They even went so far as to say, “Whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired.” These V-Bucks are locked in the Bonus Rewards section rather than the main Battle Pass screen which has upset many players across the community. Some believe the grind is not worth it and Epic is purposely forcing players to stay logged in for a longer period of time. One such user said, “They have been slowly, sneakily doing this, hoping no one notices. Last season, with the OG battle pass, they already started giving back fewer V-Bucks with the excuse of a shorter season, while selling the BP at full price.” Another chimed in, “They have also slowly increased the amount of XP you need to level up, increasing the amount of time needed to grind. I’m pretty sure it was 70k before and even lower further back, but they’ve increased it by 10k each season. Now it’s 80k for leveling up once.” A third player added, “I played this season more than the last 2 seasons combined and I’m only level 76. It seems to me that they are pushing the car and music stuff way too hard. Don’t force it on us. It’s clear the XP this season was built with that in mind.”

Fortnite players make peace to speedrun breaking Pandora’s Box chains – Dexerto
Fortnite players make peace to speedrun breaking Pandora’s Box chains FortniteFortnite players trying to get through Chapter 5 Season 2’s Pandora’s Box event quickly are banding together to break the chains as fast as they can by brokering peace offerings in matches. Though Fortnite‘s Battle Royale mode was built to be PvP-focused, players are setting aside their differences to try and get through the event as fast as possible. And, though this isn’t true in every lobby, some have tossed aside their weapons to work toward a common goal. Considering the chains on the current chest at the time of writing are rumored to have over 50 billion HP, it’s gonna take a while. Fortnite players let down by “lazy” Chapter 5 Season 2 glider – Dexerto
Fortnite players let down by “lazy” Chapter 5 Season 2 glider FortniteFortnite players are slamming the developers for the lazy design of the new Chapter 5 Season 2 battle pass glider. Chapter 5 Season 2 is finally here after over a day of issues with the servers, matchmaking, and more. Even purchasing the battle pass was a struggle for many users. But, now that the issues have subsided, the community has now switched its focus to the cosmetics, which are already under heavy scrutiny. The initial critique was aimed at Aphrodite for her appearance, but the dissatisfaction doesn’t end there. The design of Cerberus’ glider is now being questioned, with players expressing concerns about its perceived lack of effort and creativity. In other words, players just want to be able to ride their motorcycle. Fortnite players question motorcycle glider The first glider players can obtain is the “Grim Gatekeeper “ glider. This glider matches the Cerberus skin and is an underworld motorcycle. Unlike other gliders that take the shape of a vehicle, the Grim Gatekeeper cannot be ridden. Instead, the developers opted to have the player hang on to it from handles at the bottom. “Aw dang,” said one commenter on Reddit. “It’s not one where you ride on top? That kind of ruins it.” People beneath the post immediately began comparing it to similar gliders that players could ride on top of. Which sparked the debate of why Epic would leave this feature out. Some even suggested that leaving the feature out was pure laziness. “It boggles my mind that right after they put rideable bikes in,” said another commenter. “They started putting out all these bike gliders …that you NEVER ACTUALLY RIDE!” While Chapter 5 Season 2 has been well received overall, there are some issues like this that have players scratching their heads. Epic hasn’t addressed the community’s recent feedback on the state of the cosmetics. Additionally, since the bike has dedicated handles, it is unlikely that Epic will change it.

Fortnite players launch petition to get old movement back – Dexerto
Fortnite players launch petition to get old movement back Epic GamesFortnite players have been upset with the new movement changes, complaining that they want it changed back to the old movement system. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 launched with plenty of new content for players to get stuck into, like a brand new Battle Pass and a new map. Epic Games has been continuing to add even more content to the battle royale game, introducing LEGO to Fortnite and a new Rocket Racing mode. However, fans haven’t reacted completely positively to the changes Epic Games has made, with players complaining about the new “slow” and “janky” movement. Fortnite fans demand more changes to movement Some of the Fortnite community have had enough of the new movement system, demanding the old movement back, posting comparison videos of the two: “Petition for Fortnite to bring back the Old Movement.” Epic Games has altered the movement in Fortnite after players initially raged after Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, speeding it up, but others have still not been happy despite the new changes. “The people saying the new movement is fine know damn well if they made a playlist featuring new movement vs old we all know which one they’d be in,” one player said. “If the old movement returns, this season will be 100%,” another commented. However, while some just couldn’t warm to the changes made to the way movement looks, others felt that over time it would feel just as normal as the old movement. “I hated it when it dropped but now I’m used to it,” one fan said. “It’s hilarious how Fortnite fans can’t handle a little change lol. It feels good,” another agreed. While some of the Fortnite community is upset about the movement despite the changes, players haven’t been complaining about Epic Games for complacency, with the developers adding yet another event to the game, Fortnite Festival.

Fortnite players left disappointed over “pointless” customizable Back Bling – Dexerto
Fortnite players left disappointed over “pointless” customizable Back Bling Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has shared their frustration regarding one particular back bling that doesn’t seem to do what it’s described. Cosmetics in Fortnite have come a long way since the game first launched in 2017. With all the collaborations available, the game has arguably turned into a massive pop culture phenomenon, featuring characters anywhere from Dragon Ball Z’s Goku to the famous horror icon Michael Myers. While new skins and collabs add more variety to the game, it’s no secret that some players have been complaining about the Item Shop greed as of late. Hence, it’s only natural for players to expect to get the most out of skins when purchasing them with V-Bucks. Following this, one player has shared their frustration regarding a certain back bling in the game in a Reddit thread. Titled “This back bling just lies to you,” the user showed an image of the Holo-back back bling that’s described to be compatible with any emotes – only to be left disappointed as the player could only use five of their emotes. For the uninitiated, some skins and even back blings can be customized in the game in terms of colors, patterns, and emotes. But sadly, the description of the Holo-back back bling seems to be misleading, leading the player to be upset. As some have pointed out in the comments, apparently, this back bling only works with non-animated emotes. So, in the case of the OP, that option was very limited. Some players also claimed the Halloween version of the back bling works with all emotes, though it only animates when the player gets a kill. On the other hand, others assured the OP that they’re not the only one who thought the same thing upon purchasing the back bling for the first time. “I got stung by this too. I bought it as it was something new for me, and I was under the impression it did what it said,” one player complained. “I fell for it too,” one chimed in. Meanwhile, another player didn’t even hesitate to call out this back bling for “false advertising.”

Fortnite players lash out over “absurd” Golden Peely requirements – Dexerto
Fortnite players lash out over “absurd” Golden Peely requirements Epic GamesFortnite’s Golden Peely skin has pushed players to all-new lengths, demanding thousands of hours throughout Season 2, leading many to demand a brand new XP system in future seasons. Epic Games gives players all-new ways to earn experience with each and every weekly update. Whether it’s the ongoing Storm The Agency challenges, or secret objectives hidden away, there’s always new XP to claim. However, even the most dedicated players, grabbing each XP boost as it comes, are still struggling to unlock Golden Peely. This extremely demanding skin is the level 350 reward yet most players may never see one in-game. Different methods of accumulating experience have been broken down by Reddit user ‘zMuska,’ Without first buying 100 levels in the seasonal Battle Pass, it could take upwards of 2000 hours to unlock Golden Peely. Even with every XP challenge ticked off throughout the entire season, you would need approximately 15,302 “good games” with a full squad to boot. That equates to roughly 19 hours of play every day in Season 2, an extraordinary ask even of Fortnite’s most committed and extraordinary grinders. For the average player, a 19-hour day might not be possible once in a given season, let alone every day across multiple months. “Basically can’t get it unless you bought 100 tiers off the bat,” one player responded. “This encourages people to play an unhealthy amount,” another said. While some simply labeled the challenge as “absurd.” The quickest method of leveling up – playing Team Rumble – will still take 406 hours of your time. That’s assuming you play well every single game, “loot chests, and get lots of kills.” This also doesn’t factor in matchmaking or loading times. In order to resolve the issue, perhaps XP gains can be adjusted in future seasons, be it through brand new challenges or all-new ways to rank up. Fortnite’s third season was just hit with a slight delay and is now set to launch on Thursday, June 11. So players still have a little while to farm last-minute experience. For most, however, Golden Peely is simply unobtainable at this point, even with the delay.

Fortnite players discover innovative way to complete motorboat challenge – Dexerto
Fortnite players discover innovative way to complete motorboat challenge Epic GamesFortnite’s latest set of challenges tasks players with some unique tests, yet this ingenious player figured out a way to cheese a motorboat-specific objective and complete it in no time at all. From taking down the opposition with explosives, to dealing a certain amount of damage to Season 2’s brand new bosses, TNTina’s Week Three Trial challenges require a number of unique play styles to get through. One of the more vague challenges in the latest list, asks for players to “Catch Air with a Motorboat.” While avid members in the Fortnite community might be able to rack up air-time throughout their lengthy sessions, those looking to complete this part of the list in a matter of moments are in luck thanks to a cheeky trick. The challenge itself doesn’t outline exactly how much hang-time is required to tick the box, but rather than spending countless hours trying to position the motorboat atop a huge waterfall, for instance, this new strategy can speed things up. If you’ve got a Grappler in hand, this technique from Reddit user ‘Ikcatcher’ could get you soaring through the sky in a creative manner. Instead of jumping over ramps or gliding off of steep ledges, standing in the back and firing the Grappler towards a higher surface will hilariously lift the entire vehicle. The cherry on top, is that plummeting back down to Earth will actually count towards your progress in the challenge. One of the most effective spots to use this trick is Lockie’s Lighthouse as not only does it feature the incredibly tall structure, but it happens to be located right next to a body of water. After just five succesul grapples up to the top of the lighthouse, the challenge should be complete and you can continue on with the rest of the list. In order to execute this amusing strategy though, you’ll obviously need to find both the Grappler and a motorboat in the same match which is no easy task. However, it might still be a faster method than trying to take the vehicle off of multiple cliffs throughout a number of games. Certainly one of the more unique challenges throughout the week, Fortnite players have been thinking outside the box in order to quickly tick it off the list. Once you’ve finished the motorboat challenge, check out our rundown on everything from Week Three of TNTina’s Trial.

Fortnite players insist Reload mode weapons are “better balanced” than Season 3’s Battle Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite players insist Reload mode weapons are “better balanced” than Season 3’s Battle Royale Epic GamesFortnite Reload’s weapon balancing is being praised by players who are fed up with the loot pool in Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Royale. Fortnite launched a new Reload mode with update 30.20, where players can once again drop on the OG Chapter 1 map for fast-paced rounds consisting of 40 players. What caught the community’s attention is that you can respawn as long as a teammate in your squad is alive throughout the match. The mode quickly surpassed Battle Royale in terms of concurrent users, amassing over 1 million active players within the first hour of its launch. Such success was also thanks to the return of weapons from past seasons that Fortnite players haven’t seen in a long time. Several players who were hit with nostalgia for Season OG and Chapter 1 while playing Reload insisted that the mode’s weapons were “better balanced” than the ongoing season’s loot pool. This discourse stems from issues players raised in past weeks regarding the overpowered Nitro Cars and weapon balancing in the new Wrecked season. Because of the feedback, Epic has nerfed and buffed several gameplay elements in Battle Royale. However, with the launch of the Reload mode, players prefer OG weapons without any weapon mods. One such player commented on social media, “Fortnite Reload weapons feel so much more accurate than normal modes.” Another chimed in, “No bullet drop-off really makes the game feel a lot better.” A third user wrote, “Hit scan and no bullet drop. They really need to bring that back to the main BR. Fortnite is anything but a realistic game so I don’t know why they are introducing these elements just for the sake of it.” While Epic is pushing the envelope each season with more realistic graphics and innovative weapons, Fortnite players prefer the classic charm of OG weapons they started playing the game with years ago.

Fortnite players in awe of “gigachad” Peter Griffin’s weight loss transformation – Dexerto
Fortnite players in awe of “gigachad” Peter Griffin’s weight loss transformation Epic GamesFamily Guy’s Peter Griffin is coming to Fortnite, but it’s possible nobody anticipated Epic Games’ approach to the character. Fortnite‘s OG season is coming to a close, with legendary rapper Eminem closing out the blast from the past with a special in-game concert. Yet before Eminem’s sendoff of Season OG, all eyes turned toward the future as an early leak showed the upcoming season. Chapter 5, Season 1, called Underground, will introduce weapon mods, wall-running, and a train. However, the biggest reveals came from the brief snippets of new skins, including the reveal of a GigaChad Peter Griffin. Fortnite players react to Peter Griffin’s reveal As with any new season trailer, much of the focus is on the new skins that’ll populate the battle pass. Chapter 5 will introduce Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and, of course, Peter Griffin. Yet, in a strange turn of events, Peter Griffin’s arrival is not what we expected from the lovable father from the hit show Family Guy. Epic Game’s rendition of Peter Griffin is strikingly remarkable, as the typically “large and in charge” character is chiseled, and quite frankly, handsome. Fans were quick to point out the wild contrast of appearances, with many of the replies labeling it the “Handsome Peter Griffin” skin. Of course, that led to many crazy comparisons, with a few saying he’s related to Handsome Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants. There’s also the straight-up comparison to the iconic GigaChad meme that’s floated around the internet for some time. Despite the stark difference in appearances, Peter’s Fortnite skin is technically lore accurate to the show. In Season 2, Episode 17, Peter Griffin goes through liposuction, completely altering his appearance. It’s literally him from the liposuction episode pic.twitter.com/PDjZoFIeJJ — Anthony Russo (@Anthony_Russo97) December 2, 2023 Clearly, someone or somebodies at Epic Games is a fan of Family Guy and the previously mentioned episode. Expect your Fortnite lobbies to be full of Peter Griffin in the coming days.

Fortnite players hold e-funeral for fan favorite Chapter 5 weapon – Dexerto
Fortnite players hold e-funeral for fan favorite Chapter 5 weapon FortniteAs Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 limps to a close, players are banding together to bid their favorite weapon farewell at an e-funeral. A wave of nostalgia is sweeping through the Fortnite community as one of the game’s most cherished weapons will face retirement on August 16, when the new Fortnite season drops. Having survived for over half a year, this weapon’s departure is stirring up feelings of loss among players. On Instagram, a player posted an image showing the Thunder Burst SMG with angelic wings ascending a staircase to heaven. The caption poignantly reads, “RIP to the greatest SMG” The Thunder Burst SMG came out in Chapter 5 Season 1. This submachine gun quickly became a game staple with its high damage output and distinctive three-round burst configuration. It fired Light Bullets and boasted a powerful 1.75x headshot multiplier. While the Thunder Burst SMG may not have garnered as much attention as the “hilariously overpowered” Frenzy Auto Shotgun, it certainly gets a lot of credit for being one of the best submachine guns of all time on Reddit. The Thunder Burst SMG enjoyed a long run in Fortnite, debuting in December 2023 and sticking around until August 2024. Its retirement marks the end of an era for many players. The new batch of weapons for Chapter 5 Season 4 remains under wraps. While there have been a few leaks, it’s uncertain whether Epic Games will introduce an entirely new arsenal or bring back favorites from previous Chapters or Seasons. As players prepare for the upcoming season, opinions are split. Some celebrate the Nitro Fists as a game-changing mobility tool, while others argue the Magneto Fists need nerfing. Season 3 has been a mixed bag, with some even calling it the worst in Fortnite history. As the new season launches on August 16, players are eagerly hoping for a fresh start and more balanced gameplay.

Fortnite players hyped for return of iconic character ahead of Big Bang live event – Dexerto
Fortnite players hyped for return of iconic character ahead of Big Bang live event Epic GamesFortnite players are now hyped for the return of an iconic character in the upcoming Big Bang live event that concludes the ongoing Chapter 4. While several leaks have hinted at such a possible return, here’s what fans of the character had to say about the same. Fortnite Season OG has been nothing short of a legendary throwback to players’ first experiences with the game back in Chapter 1. Twitch views and active players both peaked shortly after the season began. With the upcoming The Big Bang live event marking the end of Chapter 4, players are excited to see Eminem perform and learn what comes next. While leaks concerning the upcoming event have started leaking online, one of those has set Fortnite fans in a frenzy. The leak suggests the possible return of a major character from Fortnite’s lore who has been absent for some time. Since the reveal, players’ anticipation for the live event has skyrocketed. Fortnite players hyped for Jonesy’s return in Big Bang live event Agent Jones, or Jonesy as he is known to many, will reportedly return for The Big Bang, as revealed by well-known data miner Egyptian Fortnite Leaker. A new skin, which will be released either before or after the live event, was seen in the leak, along with many encrypted files containing the skin’s contents. When the skin finally hits the Item Shop, it’ll be available in two different selectable styles for players to choose from. Since the character vanished before Chapter 3 began, the data miner claims he will make a return in both the live event and the core Fortnite storyline. Some leakers have also picked up on hints in Slone’s voice lines that suggest Jonesy will return to save the island and the loopers one more time. Upon seeing the reveal, fans showed their excitement and turned in their comments. One such fan said, “Oh The Legend Returns?!” Another chimed in, “Let’s go my boy Jones!” A third added, “Please don’t let Jonesy lose his memory”.

Fortnite Player’s Hilarious Video Perfectly Summarizes How He Feels About Season 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite Player’s Hilarious Video Perfectly Summarizes How He Feels About Season 5 A Fortnite Battle Royale player has shared a short video to Reddit that summarizes his feelings about Season 5 in hilarious fashion. ZaiyoM’s post is titled “How I really feel about season 5” followed by a request to excuse him for his “amateur editing”. However, ameteur editing or no ameteur editing, the video has gone down a storm with users of the /r/FortniteBR subreddit, with one calling it “pure gold” and another telling ZaiyoM that he is a “fucking legend”. In fact, at the time of writing this article, it has amassed over 7,000 upvotes in just 6 hours! The basic premise of the video is to highlight the sadness that ZaiyoM felt when the classic “double pump” meta came to an end at the start of Season 5. The Major V5.0 overhauled the shotguns entirely, making it impossible to shoot a shotgun and then switch to a second and shoot immediately after. However, just when all hope seems lost and the tears begin to flow, he notices the introduction of the all-new All Terrain Kart, and everything is made better again! In response to some users saying that they would like to see more, ZaiyoM shared a link to an extended version of the video on his YouTube channel, which can be found below. Prepare for a roller coaster of emotions!

Fortnite players have spotted Kevin the Cube in-game in a strange spot – Dexerto
Fortnite players have spotted Kevin the Cube in-game in a strange spot Fortnite players are convinced that they have spotted the return of the mysterious purple cube, otherwise known as ‘Kevin’, in the lobby screen of the game. Kevin the Cube was the main attraction on the battle royale map throughout Season 5 and Season 6, eventually destroyed in an explosion at the end of the sixth season. Since then, Kevin has been presumed to be completely gone, but leaks, and now a sighting in game, appear to confirm that Kevin is to make another appearance. Game files hinting at the possible return of the cube were first discovered after the v7.10 update, with file names like ‘cube_reveal’. However, it was possible that these were just residual files and nothing more, with no actual in game function. But, players have now spotted what looks like a huge cube in the lobby area. While waiting to get into another match, players can see at the very back of the screen what is almost certainly a large cube, as shown by Reddit user u/Triggyrd. This isn’t the only hint that seems to confirm Kevin’s return, as players also spotted rune-like markings on the New Year disco ball – the same kind as Kevin was made of. Epic Games always has a surprise up their sleeves when it comes to what’s next for Fortnite, so perhaps there is more to the story of Kevin the Cube than players initially anticipated.

Fortnite players hear Dragon noises in-game and Ninja thinks he knows why – Dexerto
Fortnite players hear Dragon noises in-game and Ninja thinks he knows why Fortnite players are convinced that they can hear the sound of a dragon in-game, and top streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins thinks it’s possible that a dragon will be the next mythic weapon. Hints at a dragon first came with leaks showing a mysterious egg, supposedly buried under the castle near Polar Peaks. Thanks to a glitch, a player was able to get under the castle, and indeed, found five of these so-called ‘dragon eggs’ resting underneath. Now though, an even bigger clue has been discovered – actual in-game noises. Although it can’t be said with certainty that these are the sounds of a dragon, it seems unlikely that it would be any other creature, given the leaks we’ve seen already. This clip from G2 esports player and streamer Dominik ‘RazZzero0o’ Beckmann includes the noises, which you can hear in the background throughout. As rumors of the dragon noises spread, players began speculating on how such a potentially game changing feature could be implemented. Popular streamer Ninja theorized that the dragon could possibly feature as a new mythic weapon. Previous mythic weapons include the controversial ‘infinity blade’ and Thanos’ ‘infinity gauntlet. “That’s the next mythic, for sure” Ninja says, “it will be a dragon with like 5000 HP, it will be so massive.” Fellow streamer Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan jokes “we’ll know exactly when the dragon’s coming – as soon as they announce the next big tournament.” Epic Games have been silent on the dragon noises being heard, and of course never comment on any leaks, but fans are now anticipating some official hints as to when we will see these dragons in game. However, many players will also be cautions in their expectations, after the controversy over the far too powerful Infinity Blade. If these dragons are indeed a powerful mythic weapon, hopefully they are given a separate mode, and are not added by default to every mode. Test your Fortnite Battle Royale knowledge with our extra hard weapon quiz – how well do you know the weapons in Fortnite?

Fortnite players have one strange request for OG container change – Dexerto
Fortnite players have one strange request for OG container change Epic GamesFortnite players have demanded Epic to bring an important change to one OG container to Chapter 5. Here’s what they asked for. Containers in Fortnite provide players with loot such as weapons, gold bars, materials, and consumable items. Furthermore, the most recent Chapter 5 Season 2 introduced players to a new sort of container in addition to the regular loot chests, ammunition boxes, and supply drops. However, one OG container, the Large Ammo Box, has sparked debate among players because it does not drop consumable items like Bandages, Shield Potions, and so on during the current season. As a result, players are urging that Epic put consumables back into the container, as large ammo boxes are currently no different from smaller ones. This further restricts consumables from being claimed by NPCs roaming the island, loot chests, or supply drops. However, with the arrival of Flowberries and Flowberry Fizz, players are depending on these newer items rather than the traditional shield potions, plainly due to a higher jump effect. Nonetheless, the community is concerned about the scarcity of shield potions in large ammo boxes, that no longer fulfill the role they once did in the OG of Fortnite. Speaking about the situation, one such player said, “No joke. I kept on believing they gave shields and I thought I was just really unlucky.” Another chimed in, “I don’t understand why they removed it. Big ammo boxes were rarer but you got minis or big pots and it was awesome. Don’t have them drop Flowberry Fizz or anything game-breaking, but bring back the minis and big pots.” Epic is currently on thin-ice with the player community due to massive UI changes that they implemented in Fortnite’s locker system with the latest update. However, with the arrival of the new Avatar event, players are loving the new mythic weapons that change the ongoing meta in Fortnite.

Fortnite players have discovered a serious problem with Heavy Shotguns – Dexerto
Fortnite players have discovered a serious problem with Heavy Shotguns Fortnite battles can start as long distance affairs and quickly evolve into close quarter combat, but a new bug can be a huge problem when a Heavy Shotgun gets too close. Epic Games’ battle royale has seen its share of glitches that hinder the competitiveness of the game, and a recently documented malfunction with the game’s Walls and popular shotgun could be another entry in a long list of bugs. In a post, Reddit user Airaga used a Launch Pad to close the distance on a foe. When they landed, the player immediately opted to build a Wall to create some separation but was met with a shotgun blast through the wall that ended his match. After the game Airaga went on to investigate what had happened by recreating the circumstances that led to their mysterious demise. What Airaga found was a glitch with the Heavy Shotgun that seemingly lets the nozzle peer through a Wall, if shot at the correct angle. In his breakdown of the glitch, Airaga explains that both players need to be close to the Wall in order for the glitch to occur. They go on to explain the lowering to a 30 degree angle and jumping to have the opponent’s head in the crosshair will activate the glitch, giving the shooter a free shot through the wall. Airaga even tried to replicate it with the Pump Shotgun and Tactical Shotgun to no avail, but got instant results right after doing the same with the Heavy Shotgun. A bug like these can cause massive implications if used in a competitive setting, so Epic Games would be quick to fix it once becoming aware of it.

Fortnite players have discovered more clues hinting at dragons coming during Season 7 – Dexerto
Fortnite players have discovered more clues hinting at dragons coming during Season 7 Epic Games is always adding things to the game to keep things fresh and it looks like something big might be in the works soon. Whether it be an unidentified spaceship launch or a giant cube, Fortnite has had its fair share of mysteries over the last year that have frequently been the talk of the community. As 2019 gets underway, players have discovered more clues pointing towards the new mystery of dragons in Fortnite. While players originally discovered dragon eggs near the start of Season 7, it looks as though one player has found even more. Reddit user ‘Flqmingg’ posted a short video to the r/FortniteBR subreddit showing the location of the newly discovered eggs as he tries to break into them. Despite the interesting occurrence of the eggs, Flqmingg wasn’t able to get into them as they look to be completely indestructible. One Redditor even used a Thermal Scoped AR on them to try and glean any information, but, much to the dismay of other users in the comment section, the eggs looked no different under the Thermal view. There’s no telling just what the widespread occurrence of these eggs mean for the game, but with almost two full months left in Fortnite’s Season 7, there’s plenty of time for the mystery to continue unfolding. The eggs, along with the sudden reappearance of Kevin the Cube, certainly makes it seem like Epic Games has much more in store for players in 2019.

Fortnite: Players have discovered a secret rift on the updated Season 7 map – Dexerto
Fortnite: Players have discovered a secret rift on the updated Season 7 map Players knew that Fortnite’s Season 7 would bring more challenges and secrets to discover and it looks like one of those mysterious has just cropped up. A new secret rift has been uncovered in one of the game’s more remote locations, giving players an enticing reason to spread out and explore the mysteriously, newly snow-covered portion of the map. A video by YouTuber ‘CronicGamerZ’ shows how to get to the secret rift opening that’s been hidden away on a remote part of the playable map. Located southeast of Happy Hamlet, the island contains a few treasure chest spawns, a single derelict shack, trees to gather up mats, and not much else beside an unusually large snow mound. However, hidden under the floorboards of the lonesome shack is a small pocket of space that holds a rift opening. Upon entering the rift, the player comes out in freefall high above the little island giving them a chance to go back to the main body of land. On the face, the island is a bad landing spot that will leave you deserted unless you use up all the wood there just to get back onto the larger map. The rift opening could be another entry in a long list of Easter eggs or side-story lines that Epic Games occasionally incorporates to its battle royale. As to why the developers left an open rift in a remote part of the island remains to be seen, but players will no doubt speculate and what this all means in the coming days and weeks. Regardless more mysteries and challenges are sure to pop up throughout the new season that will keep players busy and entertained for months to come.

Fortnite players have discovered a major glitch with the popular Rift-To-Go item – Dexerto
Fortnite players have discovered a major glitch with the popular Rift-To-Go item Epic GamesFortnite players have discovered an apparent glitch with the Rift-To-Go item that transports users off the map, instead of high above it. The Rift-To-Go is a utility item that was added to Fortnite in 2018 that opens a portal that transports players high above the map. It’s a favorite for players looking to quickly get out of a tough situation, or just to get across the map immediately, but now players have found a bug that takes them off the map completely. In a clip posted to /r/FortniteBR, user cheafy275 activates the Rift-To-Go underneath a zipline on a ramp, then goes through it. Except, instead of appearing high above the map, the come out of the rift far away from any land and are almost immediately eliminated. Some users suggested in the comments that it could be the fact the Rift was opened underneath a Zip Line, which has been racked with bugs and complaints since it was introduced. Ziplines were introduced in Fortnite Season 7 and allow players to use an item while traveling around the map much faster. What happened to cheafy definitely seems like a glitch, so users might want to stay away from Rift-To-Go until Epic Games announces a fix, or explains what’s going on. In the meantime, you can use many of the naturally occurring Rifts on Fortnite’s map that can be located with this handy map. There’s been no word from Epic on the apparent glitch, but be sure to follow us @Dexerto on Twitter for any updates as soon as they become available.

Fortnite players have discovered a new use for Mounted Turrets – Dexerto
Fortnite players have discovered a new use for Mounted Turrets Fortnite players have found a new use for the Mounted Turret in conjunction with the pyramid-build in close-combat scenarios. The Mounted Turret has been a point of contention since its release in v6.30. Since its launch, hotfixes to the item have already been applied multiple times. YouTuber ‘Martoz’ demonstrates ‘vL_Niwra‘’s newfound strategy on how a Mounted Turret could be used in lieu of a traditional trap when engaged in a buildfight. “Whenever you Pyramid someone that runs over you and you trap them in [and] you don’t have a trap to place but you do have a turret, all you have to do is place a turret on your floor and it breaks his ramp,” Martoz said. Note, instead of using the actual Mounted Turret, all the trick requires placing the item under the opposing player to instantly change the dynamic of the fight. Read more: Fortnite: NA and EU finals of $1 million Winter Royale tournament – schedule, format, qualified players, and more – The moment the turret is placed, it breaks the ramp and drops the player down to your level. This split-second change of scenery gives the opportune moment to take out a weapon and unload on the unsuspecting foe. The trick is straightforward, but an interesting new twist on the Mounted Turrets’ application. Like previous items before, whenever a new weapon hits the live servers players tend to reinvent its purpose in fun ways. Epic Games have been trying to figure out the best combination of features to balance the Mounted Turrets, but this is likely a feature they never even thought of in the first place.

Fortnite players have begun to experience earthquake tremors ahead of Season 8 – Dexerto
Fortnite players have begun to experience earthquake tremors ahead of Season 8 Major in-game events are nothing new to Fortnite and it looks like Season 7 will feature yet another event that could have massive implication on the entire map. Following the rocket launch in Season 4, the cube explosion in Season 6, and the recent snowstorm that changed a large portion of the map, Fortnite could soon be seeing another change to the map. On February 5, players started noticing earthquake tremors throughout the entire map, pointing to the next major event to hit the game. The tremors look to have begun around 2pm PST / 5pm EST / 10pm GMT but it’s not known how often they will occur or when the next phase of the event will happen. earthquake in fortnite… HMMM?? pic.twitter.com/1RN6do8z5e — Obey Randumb (@Randumb) February 5, 2019 As seen in the clips, the entire screen shakes once the tremors begin, which likely means the tremors will grow as time goes on. Depending on how bad the tremors get, it’s possible that the event could draw some ire from the competitive scene if it gets in the way of gameplay. The earthquake was first hinted at after the v7.30 update dropped on January 29, with data miners uncovering files and sounds that made mention of an earthquake. Now all that’s left to do it wait and see what this event will hold, although some people have already pieced together clues that it will be related to the recently-release Prisoner. The common theory is that the massive mountain across the water from the main Fortnite island will break apart, which could have some sort of effect on Fortnite’s map.

Fortnite players hail this new glider as the best one ever – Dexerto
Fortnite players hail this new glider as the best one ever Epic Games/DexertoFortnite players are hailing a new glider from the Marvel Universe as one of the best the game has ever gotten. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has completed half its course and with a hotfix on July 2, 2024, Epic unlocked Magneto Quests and cosmetics for Battle Pass owners. Players could now unlock and claim Magneto skin and themed cosmetic items by completing a set of quests in Zero Build or Battle Royale. With the update, the Magneto Power utility item was also added bringing a new anti-vehicle meta. However, when it comes to cosmetics, one item stood out for players and that is the Magnetic Steps glider which is being hailed as the best glider to ever exist in the game. Even content creators like Nick Eh 30 pointed out how the glider gives a heroic animation to the player using it with their “arms spread out” and improves upon two similar gliders in the past, the Queen’s Procession and Commander’s Descent by removing the “funky walk”. Several players who agreed with the sentiment and loved the glider turned in their thoughts when one player said, “Easily top 3 glider.” Another chimed in, “Nah! This might be the cleanest glider in the game.” A third player wrote, “This is sick! Might have to reinstall the game.” However, one player raised concerns about using the glider by saying it could be an easy kill for snipers. “Only to get one shot sniped out of the sky”, they said. Still, the Fortnite community is praising Epic’s efforts in always “nailing these collabs” and going the “extra mile” to give fans what they want. With Magneto, Epic has also released a Weapon X Bundle in the Item Shop that brings the Wolverine skin back in a new style. Players can also visit the Weapon X Lab in the game to witness the location where Wolverine escaped from and complete one of the Magneto Quests to gain free rewards.

Fortnite players have been using War Machine Hover Jets wrong – Dexerto
Fortnite players have been using War Machine Hover Jets wrong Epic GamesHave you been using War Machine Hover Jets to rotate around the Fortnite Island this season? We’ve got a trick to help you perfect the technique. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has added some of the most unique weapons and items to the game, including Captain America’s Shield and Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets that equip players with the best gear to battle this season’s villains. One of those superpowers is War Machine’s Arsenal which consists of an Auto Turret, Hover Jets, and the Arsenal Arm Cannons + Rockets combo. While the Turret and Arm Arsenal are attack weapons, Hover Jets are ideal for moving around the island. The arsenal’s Hover Jets act like jetpacks with a cooldown, since players use them to hover and gain altitude advantage over their enemies. However, this mostly causes their hovering to be ineffective and the jets running out of fuel by traveling just a few meters. Despite this, one Fortnite player named Prospering found a strategy to use the Hover Jets endlessly without taking fall damage, while also letting you travel farther distances across the island. How to use War Machine Hover Jets endlessly in Fortnite Since Prospering, who posted the Instagram Reel is a KBM player in Fortnite, when we tried the same method on a controller, it worked just perfectly. To perform the Endless Hover Jets method in Fortnite coined as the “P-Dash”, follow these steps: Initiate a sprint by pressing the Sprint key/button while moving forward. – Press the Double Jump button in quick succession to initiate Hover Jets. – Press the Cancel Hover button as soon as you enter hover. – As you fall from Cancel Hover, land into a slide by hitting the Slide or the Crouch button on your input device. – Once you practice the above-mentioned movements, the order of the key presses looks like this in quick order: Sprint -> Double Jump -> Cancel Hover -> Slide. Although it might take a few tries to get the technique down, once you get the hang of it, your movement will help you rotate around the island much quicker and dodge any incoming fire your way. While you’re at it, check out all the best chest spawn locations on the island and all the challenges available for you to level up faster in the new Fortnite season.

Fortnite player’s girlfriend is becoming a “sweat” and community says she’s a keeper – Dexerto
Fortnite player’s girlfriend is becoming a “sweat” and community says she’s a keeper Epic GamesA Fortnite player told the community how their girlfriend is slowly becoming a “sweat” at the game and they say she’s a keeper. Here’s more on that. Fortnite Battle Royale spans a wide player base across all ages ranging from kids to adults, all dropping onto the island to claim the coveted Victory Royale. While the game now also consists of the Zero Build mode, the Builds mode is still full of “sweats” who crank 90s and overpower casual players. Nevertheless in the current Chapter 5 Season 2, with the introduction of new godly weapons and new weapons, the Zero Build mode also consists of sweaty lobbies where certain players simply like to rack up on kills. This means if you’ve got a sweat on your team, you’ll easily be able to get the dub. However, finding a good teammate is just as hard as finding a partner. But what if your partner turns out to be a sweaty teammate? That’s precisely what happened to one Fortnite gamer, whose girlfriend is becoming a “sweat” at the game, and the community thinks she’s a keeper. Fortnite player fears girlfriend turning into a “sweat” A Reddit user named Marhooba96 shared their story on the FortniteBR subreddit where they told the Fortnite community about how their girlfriend is teetering on the edge of being a sweat. They started by stating how their girlfriend got them into Fortnite and both of them had fun playing. But ever since the player started collecting skins, their girlfriend has become more sweaty. They wrote, “We used to jokingly say, ‘well I’m just here to have fun’ when the other would mess up. But now, as she shockwave grenades herself a football field’s length ahead of me, I feel no fun, only insatiable rage for Victory Royale.” They continued about their girlfriend and wrote a cute description of how they enjoy watching her play Fortnite and unleashing wrath upon enemies in the game. However, ended their story by asking the community for suggestions on how to fix it. The story caught the eyes of many players in the community who turned in their thoughts where most of them said, “Seams like a keeper tbh. She gonna be crankin’ 90s soon.” One player said, “As the person who was / still is the crazy sweaty gf she will hopefully get to a skill level where she can carry and you can just vibe behind ur pookie bear while she single-handedly wipes the whole lobby.” Another chimed in, “You have a girlfriend who plays Fortnite with you, who’s also a sweat who tries to win? Sounds like the dream man.” A third user concluded, “Just let her carry you. As long as she doesn’t call you trash you’re okay. Most of my friends are better than me and I just don’t play with people who talk that way.” Fortnite players are always looking for ways to be better at the game and claim that Victory Royale. If you’re one of those, we’ve got the best tips for you to secure a win.

Fortnite players furious with cross-platform skill-based matchmaking – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious with cross-platform skill-based matchmaking Epic GamesA large number of v10.40 Update, with the intent that players will compete in matches against opponents who are close to their skill level. This has led to players competing against opponents on different platforms, with console and mobile players finding themselves in the same lobby as PC users, something which has infuriated fans of the game. Fortnite players are competing against players on other platforms. In several posts on Reddit, players aimed at the decision, venting their frustrations that Epic changed the system and that they didn’t specifically mention it in the patch notes for the v10.40 Update. “This isn’t a glitch or anything,” wrote fuzzydoor. “Epic made solos cross-platform for all users since the addition of SBMM (Skill-based matchmaking). Not sure if it was on purpose or not, but it sucks for console and mobile users.” Players competing in the weekly ‘Mobile Monday’ tournament are also unhappy, with a post explaining that most players believed that the matchmaking would only take place between their own platforms. Pyrtec stated: “So 30 FPS (frames-per-second) will play those with 120+ FPS, how is this fair? Every platform has its own advantages and disadvantages, and giving them their own servers was the most equal. Some went as far as to say that cross-platform play was going to force them to stop playing the game, with Reddit user shaggy235 claiming that it will “very quickly ruin this game” for them. “This makes zero sense to me,” the Fortnite fan fumed. “Epic adds SBMM just to they can immediately put half the player base at a serious disadvantage? Ridiculous. The idea is that we should run into players of our skill level. How on earth is someone considered at my skill level if they are on a system with 1 milliseconds of input lag and 240 FPS? “Cross-platform needs to be an opt-in decision. It makes absolutely no sense to me why they would force console to try and compete.” While Fortnite’s Arena mode has implemented cross-platform play since its introduction to the game, this is the first time that core game modes have been affected in this manner, and many are not impressed, with threads about the situation on Reddit amassing thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments. Those playing on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets will find themselves at an incredible disadvantage against console or PC players, with controllers or mice offering a much easier way to play than touch controls on those platforms, alongside huge performance boosts. Whether Epic Games will address concerns from the community remains to be seen, and the developers have refrained from commenting on the complaints thus far.

Fortnite players are furious at Epic Games after removing server options – Dexerto
Fortnite players are furious at Epic Games after removing server options Various regions in the Fortnite community are absolutely enraged at the recent backpedaling of Epic Games. Chapter Two of Fortnite brought a huge serving of new content to the popular battle royale title, however certain professionals and content creators alike have been quick to voice their displeasure with the current state of the game. Now, entire regions have expressed their frustrations after Epic Games backtracked on certain decisions for unknown reasons. In an October 23 post, Reddit user ‘TGSCrust’ explained how Epic Games had surprisingly removed various server options which led to drastic spikes in ping across the board. Players in the Southeast Asian region were accustomed to playing on Mumbai servers and being met with 40-60 milliseconds of latency. To the shock of the Fortnite community however, players are now forced onto the Bahrain servers which has massively impacted connectivity. Competing on 90+ ping, the post elaborated on how the shift is also a major issue for Indian players as they will no longer be able to play on the 0 ping that they’ve grown used to. “You increase both of our pings, not including other countries by 60+” they complained. “Is it worth sacrificing SEA and the Indian population? Stop screwing us over.” Announced in an August 2019 blog post, Epic Games outlined the introduction of the Middle East server region with expectations of “ping improvements from 20-50% for many players across the southern Middle East as well as India.” Read more: Five worst places to land on Chapter Two map – Just a few months later however, these changes appear to have been overhauled and Indian servers are no more. “Oh sh*t, so that’s why my ping went from 30 to 55. I thought it was Pakistani internet acting up. Damn that seriously sucks. India plus SEA probably has more players than Brazil and OCE combined,” Reddit user ‘krazybanana’ added. Fortnite has seen an assortment of issues lately from a bug that left players without any healing from the barrels in Slurpy Swamp to a game-breaking bug discovered by Tfue. Fortunately a lot of major issues seem to be patched out relatively quickly, however this was clearly an intentional choice made by Epic Games that has left a large portion of fans unhappy.

Fortnite players furious with “absurd” downtime for Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious with “absurd” downtime for Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite players are furious after Epic Games revealed that their scheduled downtime for Chapter 5 Season 2 has been extended, further delaying the launch of Myths and Mortals. Fortnite players worldwide are trying to install the Chapter 5 Season 2 update as fast as possible to play the new season ready for when the scheduled downtime ends. The Season 2 Myths and Mortals downtime period was only supposed to last a few hours when it was first scheduled, as players had hoped to get stuck in with playing the Greek god-themed season. However, they have now announced that the downtime period for maintenance regarding Season 2’s update has had to be further extended by at least 8 hours. Fortnite players shocked over Chapter 5 Season 2 downtime delay Epic Games posted to their Fortnite Status account on Twitter/X to confirm that the downtime extension: “Hey everyone, we encountered an unexpected issue during our maintenance and we need to extend downtime at least 8 additional hours. “We apologize for making everyone wait longer than usual to drop into Chapter 5 Season 2 of Battle Royale. The team is working through this as quickly as possible, and we’ll provide another update when we have more info.” Players who have been patiently waiting to drop into the game to play the new Myths and Mortals season have flooded the comments to express their disbelief. One player stated: “8 hours is absurd,” and another added: “At least 8 hours! I don’t wanna be rude but that is so unheard of whaaat.” Others revealed they had “stayed up all night for nothing,” and wondered “What am I going to do without Fortnite for 8 hours now?!” Despite the majority of the Fortnite community expressing their outrage with the delays, some were less forgiving. “Take your time! We’re all excited for this new season and will have fun playing it once it’s finally out, anyways,” a player said, as Epic responded: “Heya, heya! That’s awesome! Thanks for your patience as we work on the updates!” With Epic Games stating that the additional hours of downtime will be at least 8 hours, then this could go on for much longer than anticipated. We will be sure to update you on any progress.

Fortnite players furious as Season 4’s “best” skin misses out on Super Style upgrade – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious as Season 4’s “best” skin misses out on Super Style upgrade Epic GamesFortnite players are fuming after Epic Games left a fan-favorite skin from the Battle Pass out of the Chapter 5 Season 4 Super Styles. A few weeks into Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic Games dropped the Super Styles for the Battle Pass’s extra rewards. In the first few levels of this season’s Marvel-themed battle pass, you can unlock Gwenpool, Captain Jonesy, and Mysterio, among others. Super Styles, originally introduced back in Chapter 2 Season 1 of Fortnite, are supposed to celebrate players who grind through the early stages and unlock all the original skins. However, after checking out this season’s Super Styles, fans are upset to see that Mysterio didn’t make the cut. The skin, which many considered the “best of the Battle Pass”, was glaringly absent from the Super Styles lineup. Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 4 Super Styles lineup features a fiery green Captain Jonesy with a blue and silver shield, a blue-flamed Emma Frost, Gwenpool in green, and both War Machine and Shuri covered in red flames. On Reddit, the reactions were swift and sarcastic. One user wrote, “The devs carefully calculating the character that would look the most badass with a super style specifically to not give it to them.” Another lamented, “It’s Mysteriover,” while others expressed general dissatisfaction with Super Styles as a whole. “I’m not a fan of superstyles as a concept,” one user said. “It usually feels lazy, at least for me.” Some fans were hoping for something special, like comic foil designs, rather than the generic uncommon, rare, and legendary options. On Twitter, Fortnite news account FortniteAssist weighed in, “Y’all should’ve done comic foils,” while another added, “Really dudes? Y’all could’ve done comic styles or something but you went with uncommon, rare, and legendary?” Epic Games has been mixing things up lately, but not with the Super Styles. While it introduced a storm change that instantly kills you in Fortnite Reload and switched to a non-exclusive model for Battle Pass items, the Super Styles have remained a letdown for many players.

Fortnite players furious as Epic Games makes Zero Build mode permanent – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious as Epic Games makes Zero Build mode permanent Epic GamesSome Fortnite players are upset Epic has decided to make Zero Build a permanent mode, despite it’s popularity with the wider community. Fortnite’s no building mode was a hit with players and even brought people who hadn’t played the game in years back to the battle royale. On April 2, Fortnite brought back building, but kept Zero Build as an optional mode as well. Most players seem thrilled no-build will be an option going forward, but a very vocal sect of fans have been blasting the decision. Players blast Fortnite making no-build mode permanent Building Is Back – Play Your Way! Sprint, climb, and smash your way to a Victory Royale whether you choose to build up in Fortnite Battle Royale or go no-builds in the new Fortnite Zero Build. pic.twitter.com/4qay0vm17x — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) April 2, 2022 There already was a disconnect between Fortnite players who enjoy building and those who don’t, but the addition of Zero Build as a permanent mode only seems to have brought it out into the open. “You better not remove building anymore also remove the no build game mode because I have ptsd from the no building,” Twitter user @XxFortniteGodx said. “Claim to be a “fortnite god” but cant even adapt to new things ok bud lol,” another replied A common response from the pro-building camp was that Zero Build was somehow catering to less-skilled players, despite the popularity it brought back to the game. “No builds is for the players who aren’t good enough to build,” one user replied. “I SPEAK FOR EVERYBIDY WHEN WE SAY REMOVE NO BUILDING!” another said. Zero Build here to stay in Fortnite Despite the outrage of hardcore builders, Zero Build seems as though it’s officially here to stay in Fortnite. Whether it or the classic build mode will prove more popular — only time will tell — but there’s no doubt the change has brought an entire group of players back to the battle royale.

Fortnite players furious as game is “unplayable” on Nintendo Switch – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious as game is “unplayable” on Nintendo Switch Epic Games/NintendoFortnite players are understandably furious since their Nintendo Switch consoles are unable to run the game according to their expectations, ultimately deeming it “unplayable”. Here’s what they had to say about the game’s poor performance and its possible causes. Epic Games’ massively successful battle royale game Fortnite has left its imprint on many platforms, including Nintendo Switch. Fortnite has never failed to provide Switch owners with an exciting and entertaining gaming experience since its June 2018 launch. Even if the Switch’s graphics aren’t up to par with other gaming platforms, Epic has made Fortnite run beautifully on the device. Even in portable mode, Fortnite’s colorful and cartoony art style looks great on the Switch’s screen. However, players were dissatisfied with the 30 FPS framerate they achieved at maximum graphics settings and frequently reported frame drops. Players are now furious and are describing the game as “unplayable” on Switch, despite Epic fixing the flaws with frequent updates during Chapters 2, 3, and 4. Instead, the most recent Chapter 5 has brought those issues back. Fortnite players slam the game’s unplayable quality on Nintendo Switch A Reddit user named Accomplished-One6774 posted a gameplay clip of one of their Ranked Battle Royale matches on the Fortnite Nintendo Switch version. With the gameplay, the user wrote, “Fortnite on Nintendo Switch is literally unfair and unplayable” as the video showed the user experienced a massive glitch to go blinded on their screen completely. While the framerate of their gameplay was consistent at 30 FPS, the glitch caused their screen to go black while leaving only the HUD elements on the display. Several players who use a Nintendo Switch to play the game turned in their comments with similar thoughts about the game’s performance on the portable device. One such user said, “I’ve had similar happen to me before – sometimes landing too close to trees makes the tree branch graphic get stuck to the camera.” Another chimed in, “I’m thankful that I no longer play on Switch.” A third user added, “This season is really the worst on Switch. I think it has something to do with all the new stuff being added into the game.” A fourth one commented with a fix to the problem, “Go into settings. And lower textures. I get this glitch all the time.” While there were users who dissed the Switch due to its incapability of running an Unreal Engine 5 game, other users defended the device with one saying, “You can’t blame Fortnite, the Switch wasn’t made to run non-Nintendo games properly. Also, Fortnite is a very demanding game on the Switch so it’s running at least somewhat normally is impressive.”

Fortnite players furious as Custom Game Items get delayed last-minute – Dexerto
Fortnite players furious as Custom Game Items get delayed last-minute Epic GamesFortnite has delayed the introduction of Custom Game Items for Unreal Engine Fortnite until the end of 2024 despite them being planned to release soon on their roadmap. The concept would allow Fortnite creators to create island-specific items that would add a bit of originality to their maps. These items were supposed to be released during the second quarter of 2024, with a rumored release date around June. This timeframe was outlined in the official Fortnite roadmap that was leaked earlier this year, but will now be pushed back to an unknown date. According to well-known leaker Shiina on X, the schedule still said that Custom Game Items were set to release just an hour before they were delayed. Fortnite’s decision to pull the Custom Game Items at the last minute was not explained. Additionally, a new time frame update that would indicate when the update would officially be released hasn’t been posted. “If they delay something, I expect it to have no issues when it releases,” stated one user on X. Several other users pointed out that they felt a delay was necessary if it meant that the end product would be better. However, some felt it was an inevitable delay with the possibility of a further delay down the line. One user even suggested that the delay was a potential coverup on Epic Games’ end to try and prove that the roadmap that was leaked wasn’t fully correct. Although up until now, all of the rumored leaks have been released officially. “There’s no way UEFN is gonna be ready to port BR by the end of next year,” explained another X user. With the announcement that UEFN will be taking over as the primary platform for Fortnite’s Battle Royale, some players are now worried that it may not be able to support it by 2025. Although Fortnite is still going forward with that initial plan.

Fortnite players frustrated over “broken as hell” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite players frustrated over “broken as hell” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite’s new season has just launched, but players are already frustrated playing against this particular weapon added to the game. It’s not Fortnite without a rotating loot pool every season, introducing new weapons and items to the game while also vaulting some of the previous ones. In keeping with this season’s theme, players can now get their hands on various Marvel weapons. One of the Marvel weapons that this new season brought to the game is Captain America’s Shield. Well, not even 24 hours after the season launched, players in a Reddit thread are already claiming that this needs to be nerfed immediately. Titled “Shield Charge? Say less,” one user went as far as uploading a side-by-side image of the Ballistic Shield released in Chapter 5, Season 1 and Captain America’s Shield with a text saying, “Died 2024, born 2024. Welcome back, Ballistic Shield.” Following this, players in the comments think Captain America’s Shield is frustrating to play against, mainly because of the amount of damage it deals and how it can be used to block incoming damage. One user wrote, “I’m five games into the chapter, and I’ve lost four of them to this thing. One guy was cowering behind it. I could see his head but couldn’t get hits on it. What the hell am I supposed to do?” Meanwhile, according to another player, “If anything needs to be nerfed this season, it’s the shield.” They added, “Everything else isn’t too bad, but with the shield, you can just spam it and kill your opponent in seconds.” “Do they playtest to make sure these things aren’t entirely busted on release? Like… if you both have the shield a 1v1 is just ***,” mentioned a different user. “People complain fast but the truth is the captain shield is f***ing broken as hell, tanks almost any damage and the distance and damage is so stupid,” one chimed in. One user in the comments suggested that Epic nerfs its range and auto-aim. Fortnite is known to roll out hotfixes and balance changes from time to time, and only time will tell if Captain America’s Shield will get tweaked.

Fortnite players fuming over “sweaty youngsters” ruining Season OG – Dexerto
Fortnite players fuming over “sweaty youngsters” ruining Season OG Epic Games / AtlasFortnite fans returning to the game with the release of ‘OG Season’ are hitting out at “youngsters” and their building. Fortnite players are currently flocking back to Epic’s battle royale, as the fan-favorite OG map is back and with it all the old weapons, bringing a ton of nostalgia back for fans. Taking everything back to where it all started, the OG Season has brought back an influx of players, with the game even peaking at an all-time high player count since being publicly tracked in-game from April 2023. However, it’s fair to say Fortnite is still a vastly different game from what it once was, where some players are struggling to keep up with the “youngsters” that have taken over. Fortnite players hit out at “youngsters” building Fortnite returned to its old ways on November 3, where straight away some voiced their frustrations as they struggled to compete with other players. “Fortnite is officially a youngsters game man I can’t compete,” one wrote on X (formerly Twitter), adding the heartbroken emoji. In the replies, some poked fun and fired shots at how the player is just ‘washed’ and unable to keep up with how the game is played. “Nah you just washed,” one joked. “Realising you’re washed after coming back to the game you once loved gotta be the hardest thing to stomach,” said another. On the other hand, some suggested that they try out the ‘No Build’ mode, which could be more suited to their pace and style of play. “Zero build is the only way,” said one. Although we’ve experienced it all before, Fortnite OG has been a breath of fresh air for players. However the experience won’t last forever, so be sure to drop in before it ends on December 2.

Fortnite players found a workaround to Slurp Trucks insta-break patch – Dexerto
Fortnite players found a workaround to Slurp Trucks insta-break patch The Fortnite 11.30 update on December 12 seemed to have patched out the ability to easily access the contents of Slurp Trucks – except for a creative workaround. Epic Games revitalized their battle royale by releasing Chapter 2, and the myriad features completely changed the face of the game – including the introduction of Slurp Trucks in Slurpy Swamp, which made it so that whole teams could get a huge shield boost in a pinch. Breaking the tankers, however, would leave a team exposed until they break the 280 HP vehicle to get its area of effect boost. That led players to discover that simply building on them would instantly yield access to the shields. But after the latest patch, fans noticed the simple trick isn’t working as it previously did, leading some to believe that Epic might have implemented a quick update to prevent players from using the exploit. Even though it’s a small change, people who got used to simply building on the trucks to get the boost in shields might get caught off guard from the update’s effects. Reddit user ‘oldmanlight’ was taken aback by this, and wanted to let the Fortnite community know about the change. That’s when a slew of players chimed in to let them know there was actually a way to still get the same effect – with just a little twist. Instead of normal builds, it seems like Cones still break the Slurp containers like build-types used to, letting players to easily retrieve shields from the truck. Players who were unaware of the apparent effects from 11.30 patch will be delighted to hear that there is at least one way of expediting the process to break through the Slurp tankers. Chapter 2 has done a lot to completely change the way Fortnite players approach the battle royale. While there are criticisms of the title, players have enjoyed the fluidity in combat since the new era began. It’s hidden mechanics like quickly breaking Slurp trucks with builds that some players wouldn’t want to see completely taken out of the game.

Fortnite players flame Epic over default skin bug: “Should be illegal” – Dexerto
Fortnite players flame Epic over default skin bug: “Should be illegal” Epic GamesFortnite players are losing their patience with Epic Games after noticing that other people can’t see the skins they have bought in the Item Shop. The problem, which many members of the community have been experiencing for back-to-back seasons, defeats the purpose of purchasing outfits in many ways. Many skins on the market are available for a few dollars and while the owner can still see them after spawning in-game, often they are faced with a situation where all members of the session are restored to default skins. Now, those who have spent hard-earned cash in the Item Shop are wondering what’s the point anymore. Fortnite players demand fix for ‘default’ skin glitch One went as far to say that it should be “illegal,” though it’s highly unlikely that Epic Games intends it to be this way. On January 10, one Reddit user – who plays the battle royale game on Xbox Series S – said: “Fortnite charges all this damn money for skins, and then we can’t even show them off. User skins spawn in default regardless of the system you are playing on. “I know they do it to reduce lag, etc. But if you sell the damn skins make sure your game can handle it.” Fortnite players react In response to the thread, a consensus has been formed – with the majority of users voicing their concerns. One said: “This bug is pretty annoying every time before the game starts all I see are default skins while I’m the only one with an actual skin.” A second user added: “I play on PC and I don’t think I’ve ever had this problem, but I’ve noticed it if I ever play on the switch for years now.” Another suggested: “It’s not a bug. It’s because older consoles can’t load all of them in for performance reasons.” While that seems to be a reasonable explanation to the problem and would explain why Epic Games have been unable to get a handle on the problem, the Xbox Series S console is not an older model. Clearly, this muddies the waters further. Will it be fixed? This issue does not appear to impact every single game of Fortnite, so there are irregularities in that sense. However, the lack of visibility is becoming a lightning rod in the game’s community, as this is just one of many posts on the matter – racking up hundreds of upvotes and comments. Whether this issue is high on Epic’s priority list remains to be seen, but it is not featured on their Trello board at the time of writing.

Fortnite players fly like Iron Man thanks to Wings of Icarus glitch – Dexerto
Fortnite players fly like Iron Man thanks to Wings of Icarus glitch Reddit: JMurker315Fortnite players have discovered a cosmetic bug with the Wings of Icarus that makes superhero skins look incredible. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 centers around the theme of Myths and Mortals and is inspired by Greek mythology. Fortnite’s latest season introduces two new mythic items scattered across the map for players to discover. These are Zeus’ Lightning Bolt and Wings of Icarus, which draw inspiration from their mythological origins. While Zeus’ Lightning Bolt can strike down enemies from amove, the Wings of Icarus allows players to fly anywhere at high speeds. But a new glitch makes the idea that much more epic. Fortnite Wings of Icarus gives superhero skins “a use” According to a Reddit poster, utilizing Medusa’s prop disguise alongside the Wings of Icarus renders it completely invisible. Something that fans think makes all the difference for superhero skins. “Go talk to Medusa with the wings equipped and buy the prop option,” explained the poster. “Then pull out a weapon and try to fire it and the wings should be invisible.” There isn’t a clear answer to whether or not just Medusa can make the wings disappear. However, there are other NPCs scattered around the map that also offer prop disguises. The ability to fly through the air without the visuals of the wings is something that has interested other players. Specifically, those who like running skins like Iron Man and Omni Man. “Welp, there go the wings,” said one concerned commenter. “It was fun for a week. There’s another glitch with them as well but I’d hope they’d just take out the interactive utilized instead of the wings.” While the glitch might offer some amusement, particularly when used with superhero characters or other flying skins from different franchises, there are concerns that its discovery could spell trouble for the future of the wings. Epic Games has yet to confirm any removal or further adjustments to the Wings of Icarus beyond the initial nerf.

Fortnite players find the only cover that the Mounted Turret can’t destroy – Dexerto
Fortnite players find the only cover that the Mounted Turret can’t destroy Lucky Fortnite fans have finally found a way to escape from the Mounted Turret item in Fortnite – by hiding behind the only item it can’t destroy! The Mounted Turret was added during the V6.30 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale, as an item that players could place down, sit inside of and shoot enormous volumes of ammo at enemies in a short space of time. The hitbox for players sitting inside of the turret is incredibly difficult to hit, meaning that if you come across an opponent sitting in one, you are likely in a whole heap of trouble. Unfortunately for Reddit user Flluxor, he came across an enemy player using one at the Leaky Links golf course, and could only watch in horror as it begin to destroy the cover he was hiding behind. Attempting to build ramps to protect himself, the Mounted Turret continued to rip them apart, leaving Flluxor diving for cover behind the only hiding place he had left, a grey vending machine. Read More: Fortnite cheat sheet map with locations for the Week 9, Season 6 challenges Much to his surprise, the Turret’s bullets ricocheted off the machine, but didn’t actually break the item, giving him a safe place to rest until he was able to peak out from behind it and snipe his opponent out of it. The Mounted Turret has been a controversial inclusion to the popular battle royale title, with many fans, including pro players like 100 Thieves’ Parallax and FaZe Clan’s Tfue both calling for the item to be removed. Fortnite have attempted to nerf the weapon, changing it’s spawn rate on Friday, November 16 and then announcing another change to the item in the V6.31 client update. While this trick is situational, as you need to be close to a vending machine when an enemy pulls out the mounted turret, it might help you avoid death if you happen to be near one!

Fortnite players find way to make Klombo a permanent part of the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players find way to make Klombo a permanent part of the game Epic GamesA fan-made Fortnite concept turns the beloved Klombo beast into an adorable pet that would outlast the roaming dinosaur as a permanent feature and players are loving it. Fortnite players are dreading the day Klombo takes its leave from the island, whether as a part of a seasonal update or should the devs have plans for it in the story. Regardless, people don’t want to see the dino completely leave, so they’re looking for ways to immortalize them in the game. Epic Games could capitalize on the Klombo kraze that’s currently taking over Fortnite by turning the imposing creature into a miniature pet back bling cosmetic. Fortnite Klombo pet makes waves Reddit user ‘TheHauntedLegend’ took the initiative by whipping up a concept for how the pet would look and somehow made Fortnite players fall in love with the critter even more. “I’m sure whenever (and if) Klombos leave, we’re all gonna miss them,” the artist said. “So I made this little buddy that we can carry on our backs forever.” Read more: What are the best Fortnite skins? – The Klombo pet would come in a variety of designs as well with a Klomberry Onesie that takes the saying ‘you are what you eat’ to dangerous levels of adorable accuracy. A Fortnite fan said “My heart melted,” after seeing the concept. They weren’t alone, the idea received a ton of praise from the battle royale’s community who also support the idea of bringing it over to the game. Another player added, “Please Fortnite, we need this in the game.” People started to build on the idea like adding reactive elements that would change the Klombo’s color when taking damage or healing up, for example. There are plenty of ways Epic would be able to integrate a Klombo pet for Fortnite, and it could prove to be insanely popular if the dino ever disappears after this season.

Fortnite players find new Easter Egg as viral car crash becomes map landmark – Dexerto
Fortnite players find new Easter Egg as viral car crash becomes map landmark Epic GamesEarlier this year, a Fortnite player went viral due to an unfortunate in-game driving incident. In record time, their moment has been immortalized in Fortnite history, with a new Easter Egg. Since Fortnite Battle Royale arrived, Epic Games has worked tirelessly to introduce viral moments from across social media in the game. Look at the Item Shop to see it’s full of iconic poses, dances, and songs people have come to know and love. Outside of the Item Shop, the same can be said about the game itself, as viral gameplay moments are commemorated via Easter Eggs only the dedicated will find and understand. For example, Chapter 3, Season 1 saw a homage to a Whiplash incident caused by two players driving into a Rift. A new landmark has sprouted up in Chapter 5, Season 1, surprising players and the community who discovered the Easter Egg. Fortnite devs add viral car crash in-game as new landmark Earlier this year, a Fortnite player shared a clip to the game’s subreddit, showing an insane driving achievement, as they managed to get their vehicle stuck in between two trees. It was an interesting feat, and nobody thought anything of it besides celebrating the player’s driving skills. A little time passed since the post, and a Fortnite streamer passing by the “scene of the crime” noticed the car was added in as a homage. The response to the discovery was massive, with it eventually getting back to the players who shared the original video. It’s certainly surprising to see how fast Epic Games acted in adding this to the game while loving the fan service. Viewers reflected the latter sentiment: “Wow Epic out hear listening to the fanbase. Hellz yeah.” Another replied: “Proof that Epic cares about its fanbase.” Another comment shared the bigger picture — the driver is now a certified Fortnite lore piece. “Now your friend is canon in Fortnite’s lore.” The developers always have their pulse on the Fortnite community, and this moment certainly reflects that sentiment.

Fortnite player finds a deadly function for in-game Christmas presents – Dexerto
Fortnite player finds a deadly function for in-game Christmas presents Epic GamesChristmas presents were added to Fortnite with the promise of being able to find some dangerous loot inside, but some players are using them in a very different way – to take out their opponents. When the patch notes were released for Fortnite’s v7.10 content update on December 23, the way in which players would find the Christmas presents was revealed. They can be stacked in your inventory, placed around the map and then broken to reveal some loot inside. Yet, little did we know that they could be used as a way of killing other players… Until now. Streamer TheFortScientist has posted a new strategy which could lead to some easy kills on Fortnite Battle Royale, if it’s done correctly. Read More: Fortnite adds presents in content update v7.10 #1 – Patch notes – He suggests that you should throw the present in close combat with another player, capturing yourself and your enemy inside, and place traps on the walls of the present. “The important thing is that they cannot break out,” TheFortScientist said. “The walls have 450 health and it takes about four swings to get out and the traps will already hit them. So, this is really good if you’re in close quarters and you can get an easy trap kill.” The 14 Days of Fortnite event is still underway and there have been many of Fortnite’s Limited Time Modes added to the game so far, including Sniper Shootout, Disco Domination and others, giving fans plenty to do during the holiday season. However, if you would like to test your Fortnite knowledge, why not head over to our very own ULTIMATE Fortnite Quiz and test your knowledge. Be warned, it’s a hard one!

Fortnite players find in-game clues for another Greek mythology season – Dexerto
Fortnite players find in-game clues for another Greek mythology season Epic GamesFortnite players have begun to suspect that the game may get another mythology-themed season after half the gods were left out. Chapter 5, Season 2, featuring several Greek gods and goddesses, will end on May 24, and with it will come a new season and theme. Fortnite has never carried over the same theme between seasons to keep the game fresh, which means that there’s no current plans to bring the remaining gods to the game. Yet players are determined that hope remains for those left behind from Season 2. Epic Games revealed potential plans to add additional gods thanks to survey skins, which is where the idea for a second season comes in. A Reddit thread surfaced details about the six remaining Olympians who were sidelined throughout the season. “Athena, Hermes and Hephaestus all had survey concept art that was presumably meant for them (as did Persephone and Minotaur). So hopefully they come eventually.” said one Reddit user. But, the survey skin concepts are not the only detail that makes players question a second season. Several players noted that NPCs mentioned other gods and goddesses in dialogue throughout the season. “Hephaestus was mentioned in story dialogue, so maybe?” suggested another user. The season featured not only the battle pass skins, but also other gods who appeared as NPCs or skins available for purchase in the shop. Like when Nike collaborated directly to create the goddess skin, or when they included Perseus as a skin with unlockable challenges. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will be titled “Wrecked” and will take on the form of an intense wasteland in collaboration with Fallout, a theme quite a bit different from that of gods and goddesses.

Fortnite players “feel stupid” after forgetting OG Chapter 1 limits – Dexerto
Fortnite players “feel stupid” after forgetting OG Chapter 1 limits Epic GamesIn the latest Fortnite Season OG, players are admitting that they were shocked and “felt stupid” when they realized that they had forgotten the OG Chapter 1’s limits. Fortnite Season OG has finally arrived, and with it, players have been sent back to Chapter 1. Epic Games plans to take fans on a month long journey through Seasons 5-X in weekly hotfixes until the end of the season. The return of the OG map has also brought back iconic POIs, old weapons and an OG Pass consisting of a fresh take on Chapter 1 cosmetics. Nonetheless, since Chapter 1, the game has undergone significant changes, with new features and skills available to players in the current Chapter 4. However, now that players are back on the island from Chapter 1, they acknowledge that they had forgotten that the game was more restricted in its early stages. Players have said they “feel stupid” during the new season because of forgetting those. Fortnite players admit forgetting OG Chapter 1 restrictions A player named RedXaos has shared a clip on FortniteBR subreddit where they try to swim down a waterfall in the latest Season OG map. In the video title the user says, “I found out the hard way about swimming”, after they were eliminated as soon as they took a dive in the water on the Chapter 1 island. To those unaware, swimming and fishing abilities weren’t available in Chapter 1, causing players to drown and get eliminated upon coming in contact with a water body. As a result, players used to build structures to cross lakes and rivers on the island. However, to those playing the current Zero Build mode, Epic has added plenty of Ziplines for players to get around the map. One fan after looking at the clip commented, “I did this and played this map a bunch and should know better”. Another one chimed in, “Can confirm, did exactly this and felt stupid as hell”. A third added, “Build across like in the old days”. A fourth user replied about the abilities that were vaulted and said, “No cars, no swimming, no opening cash drawers”. While this is one of the changes that OG users have since forgotten, another has the community in an uproar due to the low spawn rate of consumable items, particularly Shield Potions. Nevertheless, they express gratitude that this season is limited to a mere month before they are taken to Fortnite Chapter 5.

Fortnite players fed up with new “TikTokified” icon emotes flooding the game – Dexerto
Fortnite players fed up with new “TikTokified” icon emotes flooding the game Epic GamesFortnite players are unhappy with some of the recent emotes added to the game, slamming them as “low effort” and “TikTokified.” It’s not Fortnite without an ever-expanding roster of collaborations every season. The game has come a long way in terms of content and cosmetics, so much so that many popular celebrities now have their emotes in the game in addition to their skins. That said, despite the game constantly receiving new additions, it’s clear that not all of them are being received well by the community. Players have gathered in a Reddit thread to slam some of the recent Icon Series emotes introduced to the game, many of which use a sped-up version of its original song. They explained that while they love the music in the new No Tears, The Shimmy Wiggle, and Heel Click Breakdown emotes, they noticed that the animations have been “poor quality” lately. “Now we just get emotes that look like an aunt after a few glasses of wine,” they added. Seeing this, other players quickly jumped into the discussion, many agreeing with this take. “I hate the new emotes because they’re ‘TikTokified.’ Please, for the love of God, STOP SPEEDING UP SONGS,” replied one user. Another user wrote, “Yep, almost all new emotes are icons, and they are mostly just s***ty TikTok dances. Emotes are not creative anymore.” According to another user, the emotes have been “awful for ages.” “They’re almost always TikTok dances and, for some reason, TikTokers think that slight movement in the hands and stepping side to side is a dance,” they added. “Yeah almost all of the TikTok song emotes f****ing suck. The songs are bad and the emotes are even worse,” one chimed in. Regarding this, one user theorized the reason why there’s been a surge in these kinds of emotes is likely because they’d be more compatible with LEGO Fortnite. “The less movement, the less work required,” they explained. Overall, some players hope that more original or non-icon dance emotes will come in the future.

Fortnite players feel Chapter 5 Season 1 map is “dull and colorless” – Dexerto
Fortnite players feel Chapter 5 Season 1 map is “dull and colorless” Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 5 introduced a new iteration of the map, but to some, it’s not providing the same thrill previous seasons have. Fortnite Chapter 5 introduced many things to the battle royale — a weapon mod system, three new modes, new weapons, and more. Of course, all the action unfolds on the Island, with this season changing the Island’s identity. New POIs have taken over, and the new Fortnite map is geographically different than what players have seen in previous seasons, as plenty of mountains and hills populate the map. It’s quite a shock after the surprise hit of Season OG. That said, the arrival of the new map hasn’t landed well with everyone, with some players feeling it’s lacking an identity compared to previous iterations. Fortnite players feel Chapter 5 Season 1’s map lacks memorable locations Shared to the game’s subreddit, Fortnite player FamousQuantity8007 shared their critical assessment of the map, stating while they like the map and its layout, it lacks POIs and landmarks that make it feel memorable. Regarding the circled area in red, they said: “The entire left side of the map follows the same theme of just little towns.” While they were less critical of the rest of the locales, their final thoughts on POIs lamented how bots occupy areas, impacting the enjoyment of certain spots. FamousQuantity8007 was also very critical of the map’s landmarks, basically stating the only notable attractions are the windmills, aside from the Yacht. The opinion itself isn’t unpopular, with many feeling similarly. “This map feels like Warzone and Fortnite had a baby. It’s a little dull and colorless,” one player said. Another said: ” Not gonna lie, it is kind of big and empty.” It’s not hard to see where these opinions are coming from, as the thread included images of what Fortnite’s map used to have, especially the “goofy” charm it probably bore. “Fortnite is lacking Fortnite right now. Doesn’t even feel like Fortnite,” one player perfectly summed up the situation. There’s still quite a bit of time before Season 1 ends, but moving forward, it’ll be interesting to see how Epic shakes up the map to fulfill the aches players are feeling.

Fortnite players fed up with “griefers” ruining Titan Hand mini-event – Dexerto
Fortnite players fed up with “griefers” ruining Titan Hand mini-event Epic GamesThe massive Titan hand carrying Pandora’s Box has finally emerged in Fortnite, but some players aren’t happy due to “griefers” ruining the mini-event experience. After experiencing a series of earthquakes on the island, some Fortnite players have finally witnessed a massive Titan hand emerging from the ground, as shown during the game’s latest mini-event. What makes things more interesting is that along with the hand comes a mysterious chest wrapped in chains. And since the Titan’s hand first emerged, players have been curious about what kind of loot lies inside the chest. The thing is… getting it open isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Players need to work together to shoot the chains holding the chest, but since they have a massive amount of health, things become more challenging. As some players have admitted in a Reddit thread and X post, the problem with this mini-event is “griefers” shooting other players instead of the chains, making the whole experience of opening the box harder than it already is. Suggesting that Epic make a mini-event outside Battle Royale mode, one user from Reddit claimed that the event is “ridiculous” and mentioned they have yet to make it to the location without someone killing them. They added, “Not only that, but no one is trying to shoot that box down.” In the comments, some players agreed with this take, sharing similar experiences from their games. One person wrote, “So fed up with tosspot griefers. Me and about 6 players were shooting it til two guys came over and killed us W*****s.” Another user said they couldn’t even participate in shooting the box in Team Rumble, claiming that people are abusing bounty boards in that game mode. “They could have added no weapons zone or smth. I hate these kinds of events in main game mode. I tried having fun hitting the box, but people just kept spraying me left and right,” one chimed in. Despite some players pouring out their frustration regarding the mini-event, a portion of the comments argued that Fortnite is a Battle Royale game, so having players griefing others in the lobby shouldn’t come off as a surprise.

Fortnite players fear Epic will forever vault MrBeast’s Icon skin due to controversy – Dexerto
Fortnite players fear Epic will forever vault MrBeast’s Icon skin due to controversy Epic GamesMrBeast was lately embroiled in controversy, and Fortnite users are concerned that Epic may soon permanently remove his Icon Series skin from the game, following in the footsteps of Travis Scott. Fortnite has avoided controversies in the past, whether it was the Travis Scott skin after the concert tragedy or the heated debate over the Rue skin, and has taken some severe measures to do so. For example, they removed the Travis Scott cosmetics and Rue from the Item Shop and have not reinstated them since. Similarly, MrBeast, another Icon with their own Fortnite skin, is caught up in the controversy involving Ava Kris Tyson and his ex-employees. While Epic has not given an official statement addressing the matter or future of MrBeast’s Fortnite skin, users are concerned that the skin may never be available in the Item Shop again. A deleted Reddit post shared by user Dvid020510 shared a snapshot of the skin and wrote, “I don’t think we’ll see this skin in a while.” Another similar user wrote, “Poor Mr. Beast. It’s a shame it all happened so fast.” A third one added, “It’s gonna take a while. But it’s not gonna be the next Travis Scott.” Although others who want the skin gone say, “Haha, I don’t care. I want actual cool characters, like Master Chief, The Doom Slayer, Street Fighter characters, etc.” “Always a dangerous proposition making cosmetics after internet celebs”, said another user while taking a shot at influencer skins. Since MrBeast currently has two Icon Series skins in the game, it has been 51 days since it was last seen in the Item Shop on June 12, 2024. However, skins being removed from multiplayer games entirely isn’t a new thing, and there’s a chance even those who own the skin could have it taken away. For instance, DrDisrespect’s skin in Rogue Company was removed by Hi-Rez Studios, following the controversy and the game came back from the dead just to make one change.

Fortnite players are falling endlessly through the map due to emotes – Dexerto
Fortnite players are falling endlessly through the map due to emotes Fortnite players often encounter some bizarre bugs throughout their time spent with the battle royale title, and now players are losing matches before they even begin due to a new glitch stemming from emotes. From puzzling snowball glitches to inexplicable interactions that send players to outer space, there’s never any shortage of unique bugs in the global sensation. While emotes are often utilized to convey certain emotions in the midst of battle or even to taunt downed opponents, the latest Fortnite glitch stems from these whimsical expressions and is surprisingly costing players their chance at victory. Sailing down to a soft landing atop a house in Salty Springs, all appeared just fine for Reddit user ‘xsmith952’ as a fresh lobby descended onto the map. With very few enemies circling nearby, the location seemed ripe for the picking as plenty of early-game loot was just waiting to be uncovered. When the player in focus couldn’t quite pickaxe their way through the first structure however, it quickly became clear that things were going awry. Frantically bouncing up and down, it appeared as though all nearby textures had failed to properly load in and this was effecting basic functions as a result. With seemingly no way to resolve the issue, the player attempted to emote but was amusingly shot through the floor, just not in the way they had originally hoped. Magically phasing through the map, they were left stuck underneath not just the house itself, but all of Salty Springs. Outlining the player was used to a somewhat ‘painful’ experience on console, they underscored exactly how the glitch came to pass. “The textures weren’t loading in, and it happens a lot.” While floating on the non-textured rooftop, they attempted to emote and subsequently “fell under the map” where they were no longer able to “move or do anything.” Detailing how this bizarre console glitch can be quite prevalent across Fortnite on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, fellow Reddit user ‘NomNomNomNation’ outlined how the client-side of the experience differs from the server-side, leading to all manner of problems. “The issue is since it hasn’t loaded in, your client thinks it’s not solid and tried to let you fall. But the server knows you can’t be there,” they explained. Unbeknownst to players, however, it turns out emotes must also be “entirely client-side,” hence why the player phased through the world upon emoting. While some bugs are sending players sky-high, others are sending players to depths never quite seen before. If you happen to be a console player and notice textures looking a bit awkward, do your best to stay safe and wait it out. Hopefully, the world will properly load in before you feel the need to emote and you can carry on with your typical looting ways.

Fortnite players excited for rumored No Build LTM with classic BR gameplay – Dexerto
Fortnite players excited for rumored No Build LTM with classic BR gameplay Epic GamesA rumored Fortnite ‘No Build’ LTM is already garnering attention from the game’s community, who want to go back to the battle royale’s classic gameplay. Epic Games’ BR exploded in popularity at the height of the genre’s appeal in 2017. At the start, it was a wacky title that stood out among the popular ones of the year, namely PUBG. No one had Fortnite’s build mechanics down in the first few months. That meant the game was rife with over-the-top, if not chaotic, gameplay that sparked an initial interest to where it is today. Since then, Fortnite players took the basic building blocks Epic laid out and completely refined the meta. This eventually led to people ‘cranking 90s’ and engaging in sweaty build battles throughout Ranked and casual playlists – leaving some people longing for the old days. Fortnite ‘No Build’ rumor A Fortnite dataminer called ‘GMatrixGames’ an image for a No Build LTM they said Epic was testing. This immediately got players excited to have a limited-time playlist that would essentially dial back the meta to something for casual. “Epic is testing a ‘No Build’ playlist,” Reddit user ‘Lukeyguy_’ said. “Not going to lie, personally, this is hype [from] someone who can’t build good.” Read more: Fortnite Shadow Stone locations – Any meaningful leak or confirmation from the devs about a No Build LTM has yet to surface but the idea is already proving popular among the community. Epic is testing a “”No Build”” playlist pic.twitter.com/8MvRocfZCU — GMatrixGames (@GMatrixGames) October 26, 2021 “I’ve wanted a permanent mode with little to no building for ages,” another user said. “I’ve been playing since the first month of Fortnite but since [Chapter 2] haven’t been able to keep up with building cause I don’t play a lot.” “Yes,” one player said in all caps. “I can’t build to save my life. This is perfect.” While there are players who understandably don’t find the appeal in the rumored mode, there’s plenty of Fortnite fans hoping to relive the old days. “A lot of my friends will come back in Fortnite if that’s true,” a fan said. “Epic know exactly what they are doing and it’s a really good thing.”

Fortnite players are failing miserably with the new Pirate Cannon – Dexerto
Fortnite players are failing miserably with the new Pirate Cannon Epic GamesThe new Pirate Cannon in the V8.00 update of the title – which marked the beginning of the long-awaited season 8. It also helps that it perfectly fits the new Jungle and Pirate theme of the season. However, if not aimed properly, using the cannon can lead to some dire consequences – as a number of players, including Team SoloMid’s Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno, have already found out. The Fortnite streamer demonstrated just how powerful and deadly the new canon is, as he was sent flying, despite his teammate Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman having been knocked down, across the new Jungle area of the map. Despite aiming for the enemy teams one-by-one tower, the Team Solo Mid player completely missed his target – falling victim to the watery depths that lay just off the cliffside and finishing second in their game. YOOoo the cannons are so OP! They way I used them with @dakotaz is crazy! pic.twitter.com/I4Wi2HDLMz — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) February 28, 2019 He isn’t the only one to fall victim to the power of the new mode of transport. Fortnite players erupt over “sweaty” quest in Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite players erupt over “sweaty” quest in Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic Games / Screenshot captured by DexertoFortnite players are majorly frustrated over one quest in Chapter 5 Season 4 that’s “way too damn hard” to do for the average player. One of the fastest ways to level up in Fortnite is by completing quests. Luckily, there are plenty of them, as the game often adds new quests in the form of event and weekly quests. While these do give a chunk of XP, the thing is… they’re not always a walk in the park. Sure, you get to find some easy quests occasionally, like healing using a medkit or running a certain distance – but there have been some hard quests that are downright frustrating to do. Well, the same goes for Chapter 5, Season 4, with one quest from the Champions Road challenges. “This is like having a quest ‘win the f***ing FNCS’,” claimed one user in a Reddit thread, pointing to the quest that requires players to win a Victory Royale in any tournament mode. Other players who flocked in the comments also agreed with this, some even admitting to completely skipping this quest. “Tbf, winning FNCS is way harder, but yeah, no way in hell 99.9% of the player base gets that quest done,” one user wrote. “Ok, this one is actually outrageous. Like, I occasionally play tournaments but winning a match for an average player is way too damn hard,” commented another. Meanwhile, one user claimed that even though they got a Victory Royale in the tournament, somehow, they didn’t complete the quest. Another user mentioned the irony of the “‘Sweaty Summer’ challenges being sweaty”. However, they think, “A lot of people do buckle under pressure when they’re in the remaining ten or fewer”. “I’ll always ignore difficult quests like that,” one chimed in. Fortnite quests are always optional, and it’s up to you whether or not you complete them. You can always wait for the next set of quests to drop to get that extra XP quickly if you want to skip the current quests.

Fortnite player’s edit fixes Aphrodite’s “bad” style – Dexerto
Fortnite player’s edit fixes Aphrodite’s “bad” style FortniteFortnite’s Aphrodite skin has come under heavy criticism yet again after her bonus immortal skin was revealed in the latest update. The first major update to Chapter 5 Season 2 dropped on March 26 and revealed all of the bonus rewards for the Battle Pass. This includes the Battle Pass Super Styles, where the immortal skins get an emerald hue that fits everyone but Aphrodite. Aphrodite’s immortal skin covers her in a bright pink, and her bonus emerald skin adds green to just her hair and dress. It’s a style change that has many players scratching their heads. Fortnite players have continuously slammed the Aphrodite skin since it was revealed to be dramatically different from the survey proposed earlier. So the miss-matched green immortal skin has only added fuel to the fire. A Reddit post was made to showcase the harsh contrast between the two colors on the skin. An edited version was also included to show what the poster thought the skin should look like with the green accents. “There is so much more they could have done with this skin, I feel that this was pretty lazy and it shows in the finished styles. Such a shame as it had so much potential.” pointed out one commenter. There was mixed criticism of the skin overall with some players pointing out that the emerald skin was the only “bad” version of Fortnite’s immortal Aphrodite. But others had a different opinion on the bonus skins altogether. “Both look pretty bad compared to the base immortal style. In my opinion, the only good super style this season is Medusa’s green style,” argued another commenter. The bonus skins can be unlocked by completing the Battle Pass, with each skin from the pass receiving multiple variations through bonus skins.

Fortnite players erupt over “stupid & annoying” Chapter 5 Season 2 contrail – Dexerto
Fortnite players erupt over “stupid & annoying” Chapter 5 Season 2 contrail Fortnite.GGFortnite players have expressed their frustration regarding a certain contrail from the Chapter 5, Season 2 Battle Pass. With Fortnite’s latest Chapter 5, Season 2, bringing a Greek Mythology-inspired theme to the game, players can now get their hands on new Mythic items and Greek god-themed skins. Many of these skins have matching emotes, gliders, and contrails players can equip from the Battle Pass. However, not all of these cosmetics are well-received. Contrails in Fortnite provide players with unique visual effects as they descend from the Battle Bus. Though they’re usually a welcome addition in the Battle Pass, it’s clear that most players were not so keen on this one. In a Reddit thread, players have mocked Zeus’ Stormy Descent contrail from the Battle Pass. With an image showcasing the contrail in action, one user wrote: “Who at Epic looked at this contrail and said: ‘Yeah, let’s release this, players will enjoy having 45% of their screens covered with clouds?’” In the comments, some players didn’t hesitate to slam this contrail as “stupid” and “annoying.” One of them mentioned: “Real talk, this one is super annoying. Especially when the cloud fully forms, and you can’t even see where you’re landing. Shame, too, cause the bolts look sick as hell.” One user with the most upvotes even pointed out that the image OP provided has a “generous angle.” They added: “If you try to look ahead, it blocks even more of the screen.” Another wrote: “I was so pumped to unlock the Zeus stuff because it looks great. Then I saw this sh*t. Now Zeus is leaving a trail of snow because I need to be able to see where I land.” Fortnite has a history of releasing certain cosmetics that cover the screen at certain angles, like the Family Guy Chicken skin and Millennium Falcon glider, and this contrail is another addition to the list.

Fortnite players dub slept-on SMG “the best AR in the game” – Dexerto
Fortnite players dub slept-on SMG “the best AR in the game” Epic GamesFortnite players have concluded that the Thunder Burst SMG is the best assault rifle in the Battle Royale compared to the actual ARs available. Fortnite’s weapon pool is rather extensive, with plentiful variants of assault rifles, sniper rifles, and submachine guns to give players an edge toward the coveted Victory Royale. Speaking of assault rifles, the pool feels diluted with no standout option that clears the rest. Enter the Thunder Burst SMG, the three-round burst weapon introduced at the beginning of Chapter 5. While many were iffy when it debuted as part of the new chapter, it’s finally found its niche, as Fortnite’s subreddit dubbed it the “best AR in the game right now.“ On paper, the Thunder Burst SMG isn’t amazing compared to the actual assault rifles available. Its base has lower damage-per-second and a higher TTK than the suite of assault rifles in the game. That said, the AR loot pool is divisive, as many shared the Warforged has too much recoil while the Tactical does too little damage. What sets the Thunder Burst apart is its 1.75x headshot damage multiplier, which is rather fierce. When weapon mods are attached, it makes this weapon incredibly viable at nearly every range completely defying the SMG label. Many of the replies echoed the above sentiment. One player said the addition of a laser gives it nearly “100% accuracy while hip-firing.” Another added that the foregrip makes it “soo good at long-range.” Others chimed in with their dream setups, as Fortnite’s player base rallied behind the Thunder Burst SMG. We had the Thunder Burst SMG in the B-Tier segment of our Fortnite weapon rankings last season, due to its slower rate of fire. However, it seems everyone loves a good comeback story, or when weapons find their niche in Fortnite.

Fortnite players dub Chapter 5 Season 3 Super Styles “best of this chapter” – Dexerto
Fortnite players dub Chapter 5 Season 3 Super Styles “best of this chapter” Epic GamesChapter 5 Season 3’s Super Level Styles are out, and Fortnite players have nothing but praise for the new season’s designs. Super Level Styles are the pinnacle of Fortnite’s Battle Pass grind, rewarding the most dedicated players with unique looks for certain skins in said Battle Pass. As highly valued as they are, recent seasonal designs haven’t been received well by the community. Aphrodite is one such instance, as players spent hours editing her “bad” Super Style in Chapter 5 Season 2. With update 30.10, the newest wave of Super Styles is here, offering up Cold Fusion, Digital Ghost, and Neon Hazard variants for Rust, Brite Raidder, Ringmaster Scarr, The Machinist, and Megalo Don. The reception to the latest Styles has been overwhelmingly positive, with players stating they’re the “best of this chapter.” “I didn’t like these Super Styles at first, but after looking again I love them. They are the best of this chapter,” one player said on the Fortnite subreddit. A recurring bit of praise was that none of the Super Styles feature glowing eyes, a common theme in Chapter 5’s Super Styles. “They’re simple, they fit the characters well, and they didn’t do glowing eyes. Crazy how that’s all it takes to have good Super Styles,” someone commented. Since Chapter 5 arrived, XP distribution has been a growing point of contention within the community. Each season, it seems the gains are going down, making the game feel like a grind. Of course, to get the Super Styles, players have to grind quite a bit, which was a painful realization for the fanbase when the new Styles arrived. One response perfectly summed up the community’s pain by writing: “NOOOOO WHY DID THEY HAVE TOO LOOK SO GOOD NOW I HAVE TO GRIIIIIIIIIIND.” Like the previous seasons, players will have until the end of Season 3 to nab these Super Styles before they’re gone forever.

Fortnite players dub iconic Wolverine Weapon X look “hideous” – Dexerto
Fortnite players dub iconic Wolverine Weapon X look “hideous” Epic Games | Marvel ComicsWolverine’s Weapon X skin variant is causing a stir in the Fortnite community, with fans split on the character’s comic book-accurate look. Fortnite’s July 2 hotfix was a big one for X-Men fans, as players got a double dose of content to enjoy. For one, Battle Pass holders finally got to unlock Wastelander Magneto via a handful of in-game challenges. Along with that, the Magneto Power gauntlets also arrived, letting players fulfill their Magneto power fantasy. A new bunker also opened, which led to Weapon Lab X and the arrival of the newest Wolverine skin – his Weapon X variant. But while players have overwhelmingly praised Magneto’s appearance, Wolverine’s iconic lab appearance hasn’t received the same support. In a Fortnite Reddit thread discussing the new X-Men skins, one player said of Wolverine: “I’m sorry Wolverine fans, but I don’t like this style.” They continued, “Never been a fan of skins made like this, and the mask is absolutely hideous.” Others shared similar opinions, as another player said, “Wolverine’s way uglier than I thought he’d be.” Another cosigned that sentiment, saying the hero “Looks so weird in my opinion.” However, many defended Wolverine’s lab look due to the iconic nature of the skin. After all, the Weapon X program is how Logan became his Adamantium-powered self. “As a comic version of Weapon X, I feel they could have done no better,” a player gushed over the skin’s debut. Many pointed out that the criticism was due to players not having read “that comic,” presumably, Wolverine’s Weapon X piece where this iconic, albeit scary, look comes from. Players can purchase the Weapon X Wolverine skin for 2,000 V-Bucks in Fortnite’s Item Shop, which includes a style that removes the “hideous” mask.

Fortnite players are dropping loot to have honorable Star Wars duels – Dexerto
Fortnite players are dropping loot to have honorable Star Wars duels Fortnite players around the world are honoring the latest crossover event by dropping all of their loot and duking it out with lightsabers only, in true Star Wars fashion. Fortnite has served up an assortment of remarkable crossover events throughout 2019 and the Epic Games battle royale phenomenon is rounding out the year with a takeover of galactic proportions. As Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams kicked off the crossover event on December 15 by premiering an exclusive clip, an assortment of new content was added including lightsabers. Having quickly grown accustomed to the new melee weapon, Fortnite fans have since set out a gentleman’s agreement and started to honor Star Wars tradition when a match winds down to just two remaining competitors. And here’s the exclusive #StarWars clip #FortniteXStarwars #Fortnite #PS4sharehttps://t.co/5B66EExjY8 pic.twitter.com/3jnmzW77OX — James Jarvis (@James_Jarvis) December 14, 2019 Regardless of whether players have acquired the most devastating loadout with a number of Legendary items, and no matter how much of an advantage one individual may have over their last remaining foe, competitors have started to drop everything in order to honor the crossover. Rather than determining a winner the old fashioned way and firing at one another from within the circle, rivals are now equipping the lightsaber and elegantly slashing away until only one remains standing. As exemplified in an amusing highlight from Reddit user ‘Perdite,’ once the final foe spots you out in the open with a lightsaber in hand, all bets are off and an authentic Star Wars battle must commence. Dropping all of his items to the ground below, the last remaining enemy in Perdite’s lobby soon followed suit and the two were swiftly in a duel of the fates. Both with Kylo Ren’s custom crossguard lightsaber equipped, eventually one was struck down and a victory royale was achieved in true style. Further underscoring just how the Star Wars crossover is bringing Fortnite players together in new ways, Reddit user ‘williambash’ recently showcased a similar occurrence towards the end of a match. With only two players remaining and the circle shrinking around them, both players decided to drop their most powerful weapons and engage in combat with their lightsabers at the ready. This particular battle came to an end in stunning slow-motion as williambash was slain by the evil foe wielding none other than an ominous red lightsaber. While many players are enjoying the festivities and celebrating their passion for the Star Wars franchise in-game, it’s evident that not all share a similar mindset. For instance, Twitch star Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney recently explained why he’s not over the moon in regards to the game’s latest additions, and it’s clear the popular streamer probably won’t be partaking in a lightsaber duel anytime soon.

Fortnite players divided over “worst” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 1 – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided over “worst” weapon in Chapter 5 Season 1 Epic GamesFortnite‘s Chapter 5 Season 1 is concluding soon and some players are divided over the “worst” ever weapon to have existed in this season. Fortnite has undergone a complete overhaul with Chapter 5 Season 1 after a prosperous Season OG, breathing new life into the Battle Royale game. Each new season brings something new to the table either in the form of new weapons or items, and it’s no different this time around. Now that Chapter 5 Season 2 is upon us, players are divided over the worst weapons in this season of Fortnite, and the answers are pretty diverse. Fortnite players discuss the “worst” Chapter 5 Season 1 weapons Sharing on Reddit, a player feels the Hyper SMG has been the worst weapon in Chapter 5 Season 1, while completely excluding the Anvil Launcher from the list as it was “so bad.” To this, the community jumped in to share their experiences with various weapons that they found not worth the time this Season. One player felt the Pump Shotgun was “incredibly bad” due to its “slow firerate and the shock shield in Zero Build makes the time to kill way too late unless you land two full headshots.” Some players took funny takes on the Hammer Pump where they could “watch a movie between shots” or even have “graduated from medical school in between shots the other day.” In particular, a certain player feels the main thing that’s wrong with the Hammer Pump is it “cycles far too slow.” While everybody seemed to be hating on the Pump Shotgun, the Enforcer received mixed responses from the community. A player said, “Folks saying the Enforcer here I just don’t get it. It’s a solid gun if you use it as intended. If you’re trying to use it like a Striker then you’re doing it wrong.” To contradict, another player added how the “Enforcer AR is a lot less useful at its intended purpose when it’s projectile instead of hit scan” and they would rather “just use a sniper for that range and do way more damage in a single shot.”

Fortnite players are done with “sweats invading” public lobbies again – Dexerto
Fortnite players are done with “sweats invading” public lobbies again Epic GamesThe Fortnite community has once more sounded the alarm about “sweats invading” public lobbies typically filled with regular players. Sweats aren’t often looked upon fondly in the Fortnite community, with many viewing these types of players as try-hards who should be playing Ranked matches. Of course, part of the disdain stems from the frustration of losing to someone much better at the game. But there’s also the issue of a player simply knowing they never even stood a chance. Redditor Anxious_Dott broached the topic again in a post that has garnered lots of traction, thus far. “You just got off an 8-hour shift and are greeted by these two,” reads the caption for a screenshot of two players standing over the Redditor post-defeat. One of the victors poses with a pillow to show off their 75 battle royale wins in an emote. Naturally, this sparked discourse about the highly-skilled sweats who spend time in public lobbies instead of competing with peers in Fortnite’s Ranked offerings. One person wrote in the replies, “Yeah idk why sweats are invading pubs again… Why don’t they just play ranked? Maybe they are high-skill for pubs but low-skill in comparison to Ranked players?” Others pointed out that some streamers who are “way too op for normal lobbies” do this as well, just so they have an advantage. The user went on to note that such problems probably wouldn’t keep arising if Epic Games implemented a better matchmaking system. Sweats aren’t the only issue plaguing public Fortnite games, either. 100 Thieves’ Jack Dunlop argues that Epic should make “reducing the amount of AI in public games” its top priority for the battle royale. “It’s killing the thrill of the game,” Dunlop continued in a post on Twitter/X. Several people chimed in to agree, with one user saying that battling AI squad for minutes on end always “kills the fun.” How developers plan on addressing these complaints in future updates remains to be seen, yet it’s clear Fortnite players are eager for improvements that result in better-balanced public matches.

Fortnite players divided on “low effort” emote additions – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided on “low effort” emote additions FortniteEpic Games is constantly adding new in-game cosmetics based on popular culture to give players new ways to celebrate. However, the latest wave of emotes isn’t landing so well with Fortnite players. Since Fortnite’s arrival, Epic Games has mastered the art of introducing new content for players to indulge in. Part of that comes from the Item Shop, as new cosmetics for character models and more rotate daily. A huge attraction for the player base is emoting, special in-game celebrations letting players recreate popular dances or movements from hot media. As more emotes enter the shop and draw from influential media members, Fortnite players feel they’re progressively getting worse. Fortnite players divided on newest wave of emtoes In a post shared to the Fortnite subreddit, one player felt the latest addition, the Icon series’ Heartbreak Shuffle, felt “low effort.” “These new dances they’re releasing seem incredibly low effort, I could make them in 10 minutes on blender with no experience,” they added on. This opinion wasn’t unpopular, as plenty of the replies shared similar disdain for the newer additions, especially regarding the “low effort claims.” “They’re all based on TikTok dances nowadays, and TikTok dances have very little movement or creativity to them,” one reply said. Other comments shared eerie similarities to other emotes. “This sh*t should cost like 50 V-Bucks lol It’s almost the same as the idle animation,” one player commented. Another shared a stronger critique: “Lol yes they’ve been on a terrible run lately. Calling them “dances” is a stretch. They are all very similar as well, with hardly any body movement, but tons of very characterless foot and hand movements. Yet when it comes to emotes, there’s plenty of room for debate, as many countered their enjoyment of the emote, while highlighting every emote won’t match everyone’s expectations.

Fortnite players divided over Michael Myers skin adding “serial killer to a kids game” – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided over Michael Myers skin adding “serial killer to a kids game” Epic GamesThe much awaited Michael Myers skin has arrived in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 and fans of the Halloween film franchise are thrilled to get their hands on the cosmetic set. On the other hand, the community is divided due to this as they find it inappropriate adding a “serial killer to a kids game”. Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares 2023, is winding down, and to mark the occasion, Epic Games has released three new skins based on well-known pop culture icons. This included Alan Wake, Jack Skellington, and Michael Myers. Michael Myers, the serial killer featured in John Carpenter’s Halloween films, is infamous for his stealthy and ruthless pursuit of his victims. Everyone knows who this is as soon as they see him, thus Fortnite players and fans of slasher thriller movies have been raving about his new skin in the game. This cosmetic bundle includes the masked Michael Myers skin, a Pumpkin Back Bling, and Michael’s Signature Slasher Knife, redesigned as a Pickaxe. However, the most interesting aspect of the cosmetic pack is the emote in which the serial killer performs the Halloween theme on a keyboard. Fans of the film series are understandably ecstatic, but the inclusion of a serial killer in a kid’s game has drawn criticism from some quarters. Here’s how the community is split. Fortnite players divided over Michael Myers skin On October 25, 2023, players were able to purchase the Michael Myers outfit for 1,500 V-Bucks and the cosmetic bundle for 1,800 V-Bucks from the Item Shop, as announced by Epic Games. The bundle is still available to purchase and is here to stay until Fortnitemares ends. Ever since, the release of the skin has caused quite a stir among players on social media as several users are against the collaboration entirely. One such user posted on X and said, “They’re adding Michael Myers to Fortnite. A serial killer to a kids game. Just another serious and cool character ruined.” A similar user chimed in, “Do they not know what Michael does?” However, on the opposing end, fans of the Halloween film franchise showed their joy and gratitude to Epic. A fan replied to the original post by saying, “Gonna be a killer good time”. Another one commented, “Purely and simply… evil”. While this year’s Halloween event failed to captivate players, the inclusion of these new collaboration skins has piqued the community’s interest in playing the game.

Fortnite players divided as Wings of Icarus get instantly nerfed – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided as Wings of Icarus get instantly nerfed Epic GamesThe Wings of Icarus lets players soar into the sky and crash into their enemies. However, now that it’s been nerfed, looks like using it will take more effort. Have you ever wanted to step into Battle Royale feeling like a Greek god? Well, Fortnite‘s Chapter 5 Season 2 lets you do just that, thanks to the new Greek Mythology-inspired skins, items, and mythics added to the game, with Thunderbolt of Zeus letting you leap briefly into the sky and zap your enemies with lightning bolts. Outside of all these exciting additions, Wings of Icarus is arguably one of the ones that take the spotlight, as it allows you to fly and dive bomb enemies, knocking them and dealing damage at the same time. However, despite not even being 24 hours after the season’s launch, the Epic Utility item has already gotten nerfed. As shared by iFireMonkey in an X post, this nerf affected the item’s minimum required height to activate the dive bomb, which has now increased. This means that players will have to fly higher in the air before they can slam enemies on the ground. Regarding this change, the community seems to have split opinions so far. Some players are grateful for this nerf, while others aren’t too happy. One user claimed this is a good change after playing several games. On the other hand, some players didn’t mind as they don’t use it often to dive enemies frequently, suggesting that it’s only used solely for its mobility. Meanwhile, in a separate Reddit thread discussing this nerf, a player pointed out that this change is “well deserved” as the item is “insanely broken.” They explained, “The dive bomb does 60 damage through structures, which means you can just get them low and crash into them when they box to heal.” All that aside, some players who aren’t too keen on this change mentioned that it’s unnecessary, as the item already feels “pretty weak” to begin with. “It’s so ***. If someone starts shooting at you when you’re flying, you’re dead ’cause it locks you into the dive bomb animation,” mentioned one user. “One of the worst seasonal movement items, and they’re already nerfing it into the ground,” another chimed in. Some comments also mentioned that the thunderbolt mythic deserves a nerf instead of the wings. Though it’s unknown whether more items will be tweaked, changes are always bound to happen in the game, so it’s always a good start to get quests involving certain items done as soon as possible just to be safe.

Fortnite players divided as some regret buying hundreds of skins – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided as some regret buying hundreds of skins Epic GamesFortnite’s Item Shop always has the hottest cosmetics on the block. After six years, players are now wondering why they invested so much into the cosmetic market. Over the past six years since it arrived, Fortnite‘s approach to cosmetics has been industry-changing. Each season introduces a new collab with brands like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Marvel, or even a celebrity or two like Travis Scott and Ariana Grande. The previous sentiment doesn’t even count the Battle Pass, which has provided some of the best skins in-game, like recent additions Peter Griffin and Solid Snake or Spider Gwen from the Spiderverse films. It’s been a wild ride, and quite the expensive one, no matter if you’re a day one player or if you hopped in a few seasons later, with players reflecting on their cosmetic journeys. Fortnite players reflect on their cosmetic purchases The Fortnite subreddit is home to many a discussion on questionable spending habits, with the latest one targeting cosmetic choices throughout their playtime. “Why did I buy 236 skins just to mainly use like 15-20,” Fortnite player Mister-Squidward said in a reflection post, as they showed proof of purchase. With around 1800 skins in-game, 236 isn’t as bad as OP makes it seem, especially with others sharing higher numbers. Mister-Squidward went on to explain that half of these skins were purchased via the Item Shop, which is rather “unfortunate” as a player replied. Plenty of players shared their takes on their spending choices, including what they would’ve done differently if they had the chance. “Honestly, if I could go back, I’d rarely buy any skins, and do all the Battle Passes instead,” one player said as they reflected on all the BP skins they missed out on. Another reply shared a unique take on the cosmetic choices. “IRL, we typically wear 20% of our total wardrobe 80% of the time. This is no different,” they said. Of course, this issue highlights the FOMO (fear of missing out) conundrum live service games have mastered, as rotating inventory makes it seem like some cosmetics will never return.

Fortnite players divided as some dread Augments’ return in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided as some dread Augments’ return in Chapter 5 Epic GamesFortnite fans are less than enthused with the idea of Augments returning in Chapter 5 after a leak revealed old test versions from Chapter 4. Reality Augments in Fortnite serve as the game’s equivalent of perks, offering minor gameplay boosts that can enhance your performance during a match. These Augments were introduced at the start of Chapter 4 but have been seen in recent seasons. At regular intervals throughout a battle royale match, the game throws players curveballs by presenting them with choices of Reality Augments. The perks accumulate as you collect them, creating a stacking effect that increases the benefits the longer you stay in the game. With the potential for a return after revealed tests, players are vocalizing their disdain for the mechanic by wishing for it not to return. Fortnite players want to keep Augments vaulted A leaker named iFireMoney on Twitter/X posted older test versions of Augments from when they were first introduced to the game. The mechanic, although its inclusion in Chapter 5 remains unclear, sparked strong reactions from players. “Please don’t add Augments,” said one user. “It will be so complicated and confusing with Medallions, Augments, and weapon mods.” Most of the comments beneath the post shared the same sentiment, telling Fortnite to ‘keep’ their tested Augments. However, some were open to the idea of Auguments potentially returning, regardless of the general displeasure. “Aw hell yeah,” said another. “It was always fun customizing how you move or what weapons do. Always great to have a wildcard factor, although some people will probably disagree.” Fortnite has yet to make any official announcements regarding adding Augments for the upcoming seasons. There have also been no further leaks regarding what Augments could be coming in a future update.

Fortnite players divided as Heavy Sniper Rifle gets vaulted in new update – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided as Heavy Sniper Rifle gets vaulted in new update Epic GamesThe Heavy Sniper Rifle was taken out of rotation in the latest Fortnite v25.11 update, meaning it can no longer be used across Battle Royale matches. Players are clearly split on whether or not Epic Games made the right call with this change. Here’s what they had to say about the removal of the weapon from the game. The latest v25.11 update for Fortnite was published earlier today, introducing two new augments – a Slap Splashes consumable item, and an Explosive Repeater Rifle, which replaces the Heavy Sniper Rifle that players have been using for long-range warfare. Now that the weapon has been vaulted, it’s caused quite a stir in the online community, with players taking varying views on the decision made by Epic Games. Even though the Explosive Repeater Rifle has pleased players with its explosive bullets that deal some substantial damage to opponents, the only scoped long range rifle currently in-game is the Thermal DMR. With the vaulting of the Heavy Sniper Rifle, both campers and competitive players have their own take on the change in the loot pool of Fortnite. Here’s what they had to say about it. Players divided as Heavy Sniper Rifle gets vaulted in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Despite receiving multiple nerfs throughout Chapter 4 Season 2, the Heavy Sniper Rifle remained an important weapon for many players in Season 3 because to its vast range. Due to its incredible damage output in a single shot mag, the weapon became known as a “one shot sniper” among players. The sniper was recently removed from Battle Royale and Zero Build after the launch of the new Explosive Repeater Rifle, which is similar to the Hunting Rifle. Campers who favor high ground and want to scope their enemies from afar and eliminate them, were big fans of the Heavy Sniper. Sweaty players, on the other hand, have hailed Fortnite for finally vaulting it because they enjoy being on the move and dislike campers who eliminate them with the one-shot weapon. One such gamer tweeted, “Finally, no more sniper campers in hill,” adding to the ongoing discussion about campers. Another user, who has been regularly targeted by snipers while doing challenges, responded, “Yes, now I can travel with cars to do my challenges without instantly getting shot down by a team full of heavy snipers.” Come on!!!!! Wow this game will be totally changed now smh 🤦♂️ — SavageNPsycho (@SavageNPsycho) June 27, 2023 In response to the argument, a player who was skilled with the snipers and swift at scoping down their opponents said, “Come on! Wow, this game will be totally changed now, smh,” and went on to complain that the new DMR too worked nothing like the old one. One countered, “But the new explosive repeater might be cool,” suggesting optimism for the new replacement weapon. While players weigh the pros and cons of the change online, the newest Explosive Repeater Rifle is available as a potential asset for those who favor mid- to long-range engagements. If you wish to try out the latest weapon, check out our guide on how to get it in Fortnite.

Fortnite players divided after Star Wars event excels in LEGO mode but flops in Battle Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided after Star Wars event excels in LEGO mode but flops in Battle Royale Epic GamesSeveral Fortnite players have called out Epic Games for a lackluster Star Wars Day 2024 event, especially regarding the main Battle Royale mode. However, many in the community have also praised this year’s May 4th celebrations for LEGO Fortnite, which has caused a rift in the player base. Fortnite first collaborated with Star Wars back in December 2019, with the Live at Risky event in Chapter 2 Season 1. Since then, the annual collabs and Star Wars Day events have become some of the most beloved in Fortnite. Those disappointed with the event, have echoed the views of one player: “It doesn’t even feel like Star Wars. One Lightsaber, a couple Trooper NPCs, Vader & Chewbacca. I get assets went to LEGO and the music mode but still. Last year was better with skins and content.” Despite players being “grateful we got a Chewie skin!”, this was the only standout positive for BR players. Instead, there has been a consensus that LEGO Fortnite has been prioritized in the update, which has left it “spread out real thin since they had to spread it to the 4 game modes.” On top of the Yoda Back Bling being “disabled the whole time” due to a bug, the main issues were the claimed lackluster features in BR. 2023’s event centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul as NPCs on the Island that taught you how to use three newly introduced Force abilities. Meanwhile, 2024 added the Darth Vader NPC, who drops his Lightsaber after defeating him, along with Chewbacca who gives you his Wookie Bowcaster for helping him eliminate Stormtroopers. “Was hoping for more than one full boss to be honest” one said, as another added: “Same, wish Palpatine accompanied Vader on the island.” However, a vast amount still praised the Star Wars collab, which can be summed up by the response: “For BR? Sure. But for LEGO it’s fantastic, and that was clearly the focus this time.” This even led to an influx of BR players admitting they were impressed, “It got me actually playing a lot of the LEGO mode.” LEGO Fortnite’s Star Wars collab has been praised for its multiple LEGO Lightsabers, Blasters and Bowcasters, iconic Star Wars buildings, heaps of cosmetics, and of course plenty of LEGO Star Wars skins. Meanwhile, amid all the discussions, others were just convinced that players in the community would never be happy with the event, as one player said: “Already know we’ll see the same post next year.”

Fortnite players divided ahead of BR’s use of UEFN in 2025 – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided ahead of BR’s use of UEFN in 2025 Epic GamesUEFN will be used for Fortnite’s BR mode in 2025, and the reveal has players massively divided on what to expect next year. Back in Chapter 3 Season 1, Epic Games made the switch to Unreal Engine 5 for Fortnite. This engine would become a staple for future seasons, introducing new technology such as Nanite and Lumen to power the massive title. However, after the State of Unreal 2024, Epic Games revealed Fortnite’s BR mode will use UEFN for at least one season, the engine Creators have access to when it comes to creating their own worlds. This news has thrown the FN community into a bit of a tizzy, as many aren’t sure what to make of the news. “This is a bad thing btw, get ready to land at sponsored POIs with in-game ads in your face,” one Twitter/X user replied to ShiinaBR’s recap of the State of Unreal 2024. Interestingly enough, Fortnite’s OG season was made in UEFN, with some fans feeling that the blast from the past season was technically underwhelming. “OG was made in UEFN and that lacked many things,” a reply said in response to another comment asking for an evaluation of the switch. Conversely, some fans actually support the change, with many replies encouraging how the switch should streamline development for Epic Games. Granted, we’re still a while away from any major changes coming through, but we’ll keep you updated as it comes to light.

Fortnite players divided after Coral Castle abduction map changes – Dexerto
Fortnite players divided after Coral Castle abduction map changes Epic GamesFortnite’s Coral Castle has been quite a divisive location in the past, but the game’s latest map changes have tipped some players over the edge. Map changes are one of Epic Games’ specialties when it comes to their flagship battle royale title. Love them or hate them, more often than not, the map doesn’t look the same for longer than a season in their game. Over the years, there have been popular POIs destroyed by various different events on the famous Fortnite island, and massive crossovers to completely redefine its multiplayer experience. In the latest patch, though, players noticed that Coral Castle had been changed – and it’s split players right down the middle. Has Fortnite patch 17.40 ruined Coral Castle? On August 24, Reddit user Rifted-06 gained some traction in the Fortnite community, suggesting Coral is now “even worse than it was before it was abducted.” The location was subject to an alien invasion in recent times, which caused its battlegrounds to look very different afterward. It was previously surrounded by a lot of water, but after the Mothership came and abducted it, it’s never been the same since. In the latest update, patch 17.40, a lot of its water and loot was removed. Fans divided In terms of the community being divided, it’s a funny old debate. Some players have been wanting the POI to be removed for a while, and couldn’t care less about what’s been left behind after this abduction. One user posted: “Good, more reason to completely avoid it.” Another said: “I prefer it just being erased from existence.” With so many alien overlords watching over the island, though, another player has made a bold prediction about how this could all be for the better. They said: “I’m betting that there are new POIs that are going into these places next season. I might be wrong though.” So while the location has proved to be something of a lightning rod in the game’s community, with many wanting it to be improved and sections calling for it’s removal, it remains to be seen as to what Epic Games will decide. It’s an uncertain future for Coral Castle.

Fortnite players discover the Midas touch goes beyond battle royale – Dexerto
Fortnite players discover the Midas touch goes beyond battle royale Epic GamesPlayers have found that the Midas skin can turn Fortnite Festival instruments golden, just like in the battle royale. The Midas skin, introduced in Chapter 2 of Fortnite, has quickly become one of the franchise’s most popular additions. He has since received multiple variants since his release but despite that, his appeal remains the same. All versions can turn what he touches into gold. When using the skin in battle royale, Midas will turn the weapons that he touches into gold. Now players are discovering that the same mechanic works in other modes. Fortnite Festival players discover Midas touch A post on Twitter/X showed an image of a player using Midas in Fortnite Festival in which their bass was completely gold. To make the mechanic even more advanced, it will turn whatever bass skin is being used into gold as well. “Wait that’s actually amazing,” said one reply. “I’ll have to try it with Icebound and Shadow tomorrow.” Others were impressed by the level of detail with the Midas skin. Some pointed out that since Midas would turn the bass gold, it would work the same for the other instruments too. The trick doesn’t only work for the regular Midas either. One commenter confirmed that alternative models will also have this effect. “Works with shadow Midas and Marigold as well,” said the commenter. “Switching your instruments too much may cause it to disappear tho.” Some pondered if other modes, like LEGO Fortnite, would also be affected by Midas’ touch. Although no one has given it a try just yet. Fortnite recently added another version of Midas to Chapter 5 Season 2. This time with a mythology theme that has him with a golden laurel.

With the Battle Royale mode having been the center of attention throughout the latest update, fans of the original Save The World mode have been quick to voice their frustration. Initially released in July of 2017 as a cooperative, open-world tower defense video game, Fortnite quickly pivoted and added the popular Battle Royale mode that we all know today. Read more: Fortnite stars react to Lady Gaga’s Tweet – Fans of the original Save The World mode however, feel as though they have been massively neglected by Epic Games in the most recent content drop. While the Battle Royale mode has seen a major overhaul and an abundance of new content, Save The World mode has been kept largely the same for the time being. A new Epic Games blog post laid out the road ahead for the cooperative mode, however nothing of real significance has been included in the first week. Outside of AFK players being removed much quicker, the only new content this week is cosmetic. “Anyone else just tired of being second class players with this game?” Reddit user ‘gokublackisnotblack’ asserted in light of the recent announcement. “Compare what BR got to us, it’s just sad at this point. I realize that [Battle Royale] is their cash cow, but we paid money too and we don’t even get a 10th of the cool stuff they get.” The lack of fresh content at the launch of Chapter 2, as well as in the future roadmap, has Save The World players riled up. [Battle Royale] got a lot of improvements and new features and we get f*cking nothing.” Chapter 2 of Fortnite kicked off on October 15 after a period of speculation as to what would come next. Battle Royale fans have been treated to a heaping serve of improvements and new content, yet Save The World players have been met with disappointment. The first new questline of Chapter 2 will be made available next week, however it might be too little too late.

Fortnite players discover major problem with new Scavenger Pop-Up Cup mode – Dexerto
Fortnite players discover major problem with new Scavenger Pop-Up Cup mode While the first Scavenger Pop-Up Cup tournament mode was met with acclaim, the newest version introduced with the v6.30 update has one glaring problem. Scavenger Pop-Up Cup tournaments are limited-time tournament modes with unique rulesets that allows players to switch things up from the standard game mode. The v6.30 update on November 20 came with a new version of the popular tournament mode centered on Duos, but players have since found a huge problem with it. Material caps and faster gathering of materials are a main component of the mode and the Duos variant features a material cap of 300 for each type of material. This low cap has introduced an unexpected bump in the road. Vending Machines are present throughout the map and allow players the ability to purchase items in exchange for materials. Legendary items are available in the machines for 375 materials, meaning that players would be unable to buy anything from these machines while in this mode. Team Liquid’s ‘Chap’ first came to this realization while playing the mode with his teammate ‘72HRS’, saying “Everything in the Legendary Vending [Machine] is out of our budget. We literally can’t buy anything!” While Chap didn’t run into a Legendary machine himself, one unlucky Reddit user did manage to come across one and was unable to buy anything from it due to the material cap. With the speed in which Epic Games has been updating Fortnite, it may not be long before the Legendary Vending Machines are removed from this mode. Until then, just hope that you get lucky and never see one of these machines while playing this week’s Scavenger Pop-Up Cup tournament.
