The Cube was introduced in the waning moments of Season 5 and proceeded through Season 6, and held players’ interest for its mysterious energy and cryptic purpose. Now the Disco Ball can be seen emerging and subsequently delivering an epic New Year’s party, but before being covered in reflective plating it glows with a purple vibrance that is unmistakably familiar. A speculative eye would note that VividOlive’s close up of the ball also shows strange markings before being covered up by the mirror-plated sides. As it stands, the ball delivers fireworks and lively music upon a countdown, but maybe the developers have another explosive surprise as the clock hits midnight. Kevin hasn’t made a return to Fortnite since his episode over the map, and the nod to the geometric fiend might be a hint that it isn’t the last time we see it.

Fortnite players discover hidden location under rock with 500 million health A mysterious rock pool has emerged on the Fortnite map, and players can help find out what’s underneath using their pickaxe. The location has been discovered just outside of Paradise Palms, secured with metal fencing with diggers and bulldozers found around the perimeter of the rocks. Previous leaks have suggested that Dusty Divot could be changed in a future update with lava set to fill in the hole left by the meteor. Could the construction workers be in preparation for such an event? Players can help uncover what lies beneath the new location by destroying the rocks with their pickaxe in any playlist – including playground. The rock has a universal health bar meaning you can track how much is left to break. Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR has estimated the time it will take to destroy the area – with an estimated completion date of March 30 at 6:00 PST – but with almost 30,000 HP taken away already, it could be much sooner. The Stormwings were first introduced in Season 7, while the Grapplers debuted in Season 5 and have undergone various modifications since then. These two items were only in the game simultaneously for a short period of time. Grapplers were vaulted from the game on January 22, 2019 and Season 7 officially started on December 6, 2018. After four years, Grapplers and Stromwings are coming back together in a game-changing way. Stromwing and Grappler combo lets players glide through trees The clip begins with a trio of players; two are riding a Stormwing and the third player is holding on with a Grappler. The plane takes off and begins carrying the third player throughout Wailing Woods. Along the way, the player can slide past trees without colliding with the leaves or branches. “Imagine hoverboard at the same time,” said one TikTok user. This theme follows throughout the video, allowing the player to ride behind the plane without using multiple Grappler shots. As long as the Stromwing had fuel, the player in the back could slide around the map without issue. Only a few days are left in Season OG before the next Chapter of Fortnite begins. It is unlikely that Epic Games will take time to address this game-changing mechanic. There is also no guarantee that Grapplers or Stromwings will be available in the future.

Fortnite has plenty of cosmetic items for players to purchase and customize, but some older skins have still maintained their popularity among the player base as classics. One of those classic skins was the Brite Bomber, along with the other items in the Sunshine and Rainbows set: like the Brite Blimp, Brite Bag, and Brite Board. Now, one Fortnite content creator has discovered an extremely remote Easter Egg surrounding the Sunshine and Rainbows cosmetic set in 2023 after it was first released in 2019. Fortnite player discovers hidden Brite Bomber Easter Egg Fortnite content creator Tabor Hill posted a video on YouTube titled “99% Of Fortnite Players Don’t Know About THIS.” The video goes over a very remote Easter Egg surrounding the Brite Bomber skin and the Brite Blimp. According to Tabor Hill, he found a comment from a YouTube user named Fresh Ice which asked him to test a very remote Easter Egg for the Sunshine and Rainbows cosmetic set. To the YouTuber’s surprise, the Easter Egg actually worked—but under very specific circumstances. Before testing the Easter Egg, Tabor hill said he “ran this Glider hundreds of times” and had never seen the Easter Egg happen, but knew that other Gliders like the Cheyenne Dropship had remote Easter Eggs as well. However, upon trying to recreate the Easter Egg, the Fortnite fan couldn’t get the Easter Egg to trigger. Eventually through a bit of trial and error, he discovered that it only triggers if players are using the Brite Bomber or Brite Gunner skin with the Brite Bag Back Bling equipped. The Brite Board Back Bling will not let the animation play. Sure enough, Tabor Hill enters another match with the correct cosmetics, presses the trigger to shoot, and the Brite Blimp shoots rockets out the front of it to conclude the Easter Egg. Tabor Hill ended his video wondering just how skin sets have combo-dependent reactions that fans aren’t aware of. While the Brite Bomber reaction could just be a fluke, it could be worthwhile for Fortnite fans to check their favorite cosmetics sets to see if hidden Easter Eggs have snuck past them.

And yet, players discovered an exploit to earn the Katalina bundle without needing a phone. Now that Epic Games has brought back Fortnite onto iPhones in the EU, the developers celebrated the release by giving out the Katalina skin, amongst other cute cosmetics, to players who completed quests through the mobile app. “ArcticPenguin” on X first discovered this elusive method without ever using a mobile phone. They first announced that they earned the Katalina skin through their Xbox in the US, later explaining how they managed to do it. How to get the Katalina skin without a phone in Fortnite If you’re eager to get the Katalina skin for yourself just like ArcticPenguin did, there are a few simple steps you must take: Find a Creative 1.0 (non-UEFN) map – Join the map with a friend as a “Private Game” – One friend must leave the map and rejoin while the other stays – The Katalina quests should now work for the person who re-joined – Both players should be able to do this for one another, just switch up the roles of who leaves and who stays the second time around. Once the quests work for you on PC or console, you should be able to complete the required quests and eventually earn the Katalina skin and cosmetics. Fortnite players in the replies of the later post explaining how it’s done had dozens of questions for ArcticPenguin. Someone wondered if you could get banned for doing this, but, since it’s a free skin, the original poster doubted it. Fortnite players discover another way to phase through enemy walls Epic GamesBuilding is an extremely important mechanic in Fortnite, but sneaky players have found another way to turn the tool to their advantage, finding a new way to phase through walls thanks to a glitch in the game. While eliminating enemies with your weapon is the primary objective in Fortnite, building is equally important, allowing players to protect themselves from bullets raining down on them from opponents, create bases and shelters, or block opponents from charging at you in close quarters situation. Unfortunately, glitches often mean that these structures don’t keep out players as they were intended to, and Fortnite players have found yet another way to magically walk through walls placed by opponents, giving them the element of surprise as they attempt to secure Victory Royales. Uploaded to Reddit on January 3, user Trotz_DespiTe revealed that they had found another way to run through the solid object, using it to take down an enemy who was unsurprisingly stunned to see an enemy saunter through a wall to take him out with an Assault Rifle. The player found himself in a box fight with an enemy who had the higher ground, and decided to place a metal roof to give himself cover while he planned his next move. They quickly edited it the metal structure above them to allow themselves to walk up the stairs, before destroying the wall of the enemy using their pickaxe, all while crouched under their edited roof. All of a sudden, the player’s gun is poking through the wall, which is still standing and fires off a couple of shots that wipe out the opponent and send them back to the lobby, leaving Trotz_DespiTe to just casually enter the opponent’s hideout and gather all the loot they need. This isn’t the first time that players have found ways to glitch themselves through walls, and many will be imploring Epic Games to fix it as soon as possible so they don’t get eliminated by an opponent who can teleport through solid objects. The developers have yet to officially address the issues, but it’s possible that the 11.50 update for the game which will introduce the new Unreal Engine Chaos physics engine will fix this exploit, although who knows what problems this major change may bring.

Fortnite players discover bittersweet Shuri dialogue when wearing a specific skin Epic GamesPlayers can find a bevy of interesting NPCs around the Battle Royale map in Fortnite, but did you know that speaking with the Shuri NPC while wearing a specific outfit will make her react differently than usual? Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite introduced the Absolute Doom event which brought along familiar Marvel-themed NPC characters such as Captain Jones, Gwenpool, and even Shuri as the new Black Panther. Typically, players speak to Shuri near the Nitrodome. She talks about wanting to defeat Doctor Doom and offers you the chance to purchase the Black Panther Claws. However, Shuri reacts differently if players wear T’Challa’s skin. The T’Challa Black Panther skin was initially released back in December 2020 and has reappeared multiple times in the item shop since then. If you’re one of the lucky fans to own this skin, try making conversation with Shuri. One player left a post on Reddit revealing this unique NPC interaction while wearing T’Challa’s Black Panther skin. “T’Challa! It is good to see you, brother,” Shuri says. Interestingly, Epic Games is no stranger to adding hidden NPC interactions in their Battle Royale, as it had implemented a few with the Midas skin earlier in 2024. Fans in the replies loved seeing this secret interaction. “The small things like that are much better than other things this season,” one response noted. Others called the dialogue “heartwarming” and “bittersweet,” with the knowledge of T’Challa’s MCU actor Chadwick Boseman passing away in 2020 and how it affected the storyline between the two siblings in the Black Panther movie’s sequel. Epic Games have responded, but it’s not yet clear how close to a patch they are. Any battle royale game of Fortnite’s size is bound to impacted by a bug or two from time to time. Generally, the game’s developers have done a good job of keeping issues to a minimum, but there is so much content to keep an eye on. One set of bugs, though, that have had more life than others are instant death glitches. Back in Chapter 1 we saw players randomly killed when exploring the greenery around Tilted Towers, and Chapter 2’s version of the instant-death glitch seems to relate to being in a car around the Holly Hedges area of the map. On November 20, one Redditor posted their issue, explaining that they have been randomly dying while driving around the Holly Hedges area of the map. Attached was a screenshot showing the player finishing 41st after an untimely (and very random) death. While not garnering too much attention, the post appeared to relate to an issue other users have been having too, making an instant death-spot the likely cause. Thankfully, Epic themselves were on hand to provide an update, explaining that they are aware of the issue and are trying to root out a cause and patch. “Thanks for flagging this, u/Mablemon!” one dev replied. “Our QA team has been investigating cases like this.”

Featuring his own skin, emote, and instruments. Now that the first season has concluded, a new artist has been brought to the forefront — Lady Gaga. While her addition has been well-received, players felt like Fortnite missed the mark with her skin. Fortnite Festival needs Laga Gaga’s “iconic” looks Fortnite players took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the current state of the Lady Gaga skin for Fortnite Festival. Wings of Icarus is a new mobility item that lets players fly and slam enemies on the ground. However, the latter is an all-new mythic weapon that lets you hurl three deadly lightning bolts at your enemies after briefly leaping into the air. While new additions to the game help shake things up, it certainly didn’t take too long for some players to slam this weapon as being “busted.” In a Reddit thread, one user claimed that this is the “most broken item in history,” before going on to explain that they got instantly eliminated through a wall. They continued, “It literally spawns everywhere across the map, goes through walls, and does insane damage. There is no f****ing counter to it at all, as a direct hit does like 150. Don’t even get me started on how Epic is teasing us with Siphon by reusing it for a medallion when it used to be a beloved mechanic. I wanted to like this season so bad, but holy f***.” In the comments, some players agreed with the OP and shared a similar experience. “I was in a building, 2 walls behind, and that s*** killed me immediately,” one user wrote. “Yeah, it doesn’t even matter if you are building or full boxed. After acquiring the icy feet from the frozen lake north of Polar Peak, ghoulboy_ encountered the bug after the frozen effect dissipated. “If you try to get first-shot accuracy, nothing comes in because [the game] thinks you’re jumping,” ghoulboy_ explained. He also noted his character getting “instant fatigue” after jumping, causing every subsequent hop to barely leave the ground. Although the exact circumstances that lead to the bug are as of yet unknown, players can undo the bug by going back to the source of the problem. Created by Reddit user ‘ApeLandscape,’ The Safe is a concept that proposes safes be added to the Fortnite map, spawning randomly in place of some chests. Locked inside the safe would be a weapon guaranteed to be of Legendary rarity (gold) and it would take exactly 30 seconds for a player to crack the safe alone and retrieve the weapon. The process of opening the safe would be slightly expedited if it’s done as a team; the more teammates try to crack it together, the faster it opens. Here are all of the weapons that have Legendary variants currently in Fortnite: Suppressed AR, Thermal Scoped AR, Heavy AR, SCAR, Burst AR, Minigun, Compact SMG, Hand Cannon, Heavy Shotgun, Pump Shotgun, Heavy Sniper Rifle, Suppressed Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, or Quad Launcher. This concept of The Safe is rather interesting because, at first glance, some may think that it would play a very similar role to that of the Vending Machines. However, it would differ in that the players will not know exactly what is being encased inside, and instead of trading in material resources to obtain the contents they have to expend valuable time to crack it. The fact that not every Legendary weapon would be worth spending that kind of time makes it a risk pretty much anytime a player spends 30 seconds trying to access it, which seems to make the concept a lot more balanced. Adding safes in Fortnite would also introduce a new wave of tactical play in terms of players possibly using them as bait to lure others into an ambush. Since they take so long to open, players will want to be absolutely sure that they have a clear area to work in and will not be sniped at or rushed by enemy players. Although the creator of the concept never mentions it, it may also be smart to add a progress bar to the safe as it’s being opened, that way players will know how much more they need to go before it’s cracked. If a player who is in the process of opening the safe leaves it to fend off enemies, the progress bar could slowly retract until the player gets back to work on it, which would not only make the safe more balanced, it would also prevent enemies from waiting until its almost open before ambushing the player and stealing the fruit of their hard work.

Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival event in Houston, Texas ended in tragedy on November 5, as a crowd surge crushed and killed 10 people. Following the event, an investigation was triggered into the safety procedures of security working on-site and Scott himself is reportedly being sued for over $750 million. One of those was a nine-year-old boy called Ezra Blount, who passed away at the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, a family lawyer confirmed on November 15. The child was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering serious injuries. As people around the world mourned all 10 who paid the ultimate price during the event, insensitive comments have surfaced on social media with some people making Fortnite-related jokes in relation to Ezra’s death. Fortnite players mock Astroworld victim In a TikTok clip posted by Vlone, which has surpassed over 6.2 million views at the time of writing, many remarks were made. Exciting new weapons such as the Wood Stake Shotgun and Thorne’s Vampiric Blade were also added, as well as some major franchise collaborations were announced. This has sparked outrage within the community, once again blaming Epic for failing to effectively address Fortnite cheating issues. “Really feels like Epic isn’t doing their job anymore taking care of cheaters, they could threaten legal action against all of the people posting the hacks and cheats and shit on YouTube and TikTok yet they all allow that kind of content to stay up,” pointed out one commenter. But the customizable superhero skin that was introduced in Season 4 has now been called out by fans for being ‘pay-to-win’, as turning the skin all-black means players can get an advantage by remaining hidden in shadows. In a thread titled “So do you think the black superhero skins need a nerf?” on Reddit, user Pricytoaster highlighted the problem at hand with a simple screenshot. The image was taken during a match where an opponent wearing the all-black superhero skin was hidden in the corner of a house. Because of the shadows, they were unable to be seen, giving them the perfect opportunity to sneakily take down other players. The thread in question has drawn hundreds of complaints from fellow Fortnite players who have experienced the same problem, and many of them have been calling for Epic to nerf the skin to keep the game fair for everyone. “This is blatantly unfair and pay-to-win,” wrote one frustrated player. Another added: “Remove this immediately! The fifth week of competition was a duos tournament, won by Team Liquid’s Thomas ’72hrs’ Mulligan and Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo, but was marred somewhat by the lag issues. Some of the game’s biggest stars, including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, took to Twitter to express their frustration with connection problems. One of the most telling clips comes from Ninja’s own stream, where a build battle gets very messy and laggy, ultimately causing his demise. Ninja is understandably infuriated, saying “why do we even play? It’s so stupid. I love everything they’re trying to do, but that is just not ok, and it’s like that every week. While Fortnite is mostly known for its Battle Royale and Zero Build mode, the game does offer players the experience to try out new limited-time modes once in a while. Steady Storm, Infinity Gauntlet, and Sniper Shootout are some of the most popular ones players seem to love. However, out of all LTMs, there’s one mode that received a lot of hype in the past, only to have it removed after a while. That LTM is none other than Impostor, a game mode inspired by Among Us. As the name suggests, this mode pits innocent players against “impostors” whose goal is to sabotage their work while secretly eliminating them. Now that the mode has been gone for over a year, players have admitted to missing it and are begging for it to be brought back. “Do you guys miss the impostors game mode?” asked a player in a Reddit thread. They explained that given that Chapter 5 has added new game modes like LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival, this would be a good time to bring the “underrated” mode back before asking others their opinion of the mode making a return. Many players in the comments agreed with the OP, suggesting that it should be brought back to Fortnite. Some players even said they regretted taking the mode “for granted” while it was still available. A user mentioned that this should return as it was “so much fun to play.” They wrote, “I remember back when that was out, me and my friends and I would play that game all the time, and it was so fun to see who was Impostor and to hide/run from Impostor.” Some players agreed solely because it was one of the best and easiest ways to level up the Battle Pass. Fortnite unleashed three groundbreaking new game modes to kick off Chapter 5 Season 1 on December 3, 2023. Fresh off the back of The Big Bang event, players surged in to check out the “whole new beginning” as records were instantly shattered. Rocket Racing, Festival and in particularly LEGO Fortnite, caused the game to achieve over 44 million players in just one day. However, following calls for more features to be added and declining player count figures for the new modes, players in the community have again rallied for the fan-favorite Fortnite OG to make a permanent return. Fortnite players slam new game modes over decreasing popularity Fortnite player MrSponge_ fired back at claims in the community that “Fortnite OG shouldn’t be a permanent mode it will have no players and get boring.” To which they responded: “Meanwhile the other permanent modes other than BR:,” and posted a screenshot from the Discover tab to compare the player count figures across each main mode. The staple Battle Royale mode showed over 300,000 active players, while Festival had the least with just over 5,000, Rocket Racing with nearly 8,000 and finally LEGO Fortnite with close to 28,000. Players soon chimed in to give their thoughts. The top comment read: “Admittedly… there’s work to do on those early modes. Rocket racing ranked is very frustrating at some point. Festival probably sells songs, so they’re fine with that. And anyone I know playing LEGO has already ‘beat’ it.” Much of the discussion revolved around players ultimately getting bored with each mode and heading back to BR “I actually really liked LEGO, but after I had done everything there was to do in survival, I lost interest in it. It doesn’t have the depth of a lot of the other survival games like that,” one player said. Despite some stating that “It’s early. They have a ton planned for LEGO” and the other modes, others were less convinced. “They shouldn’t have released it in its current state imo. Since Fortnite’s launch, the game has been adding more and more features to improve players’ experience. Whether that be certain settings, QoL updates, or UI changes, Fortnite in 2024 looks a lot different compared to 2017 due to these changes. However, certain additions are not always welcomed by fans. One prominent example is the Locker UI, which has become quite a hot topic, with some players claiming that it’s hard to navigate and lacks certain features. Regarding the game’s Locker, there’s also a particular feature that’s been missing from the game and players are begging for devs to add it back. That feature is none other than the Locker button that’s usually shown when leaving a match. This feature lets players immediately head to their Locker and change their appearance, as opposed to having to go back to the lobby first. So far, players have been uniting in an X post, wishing for this change to come back. “I wish Fortnite would add the locker button back to the game,” wrote one user, with an image of the old feature attached to the post. The majority of players agreed in the comments. “YES! And the ability to fully change your character, rather than just select presets!” one person replied. Meanwhile, another person wrote, “[Forreal] that was peak.” “I miss that option. Searching for skins just to get interrupted by the loading screen. Then could get this option in-between games,” mentioned another. “Facts! It’s kinda long having to go all the way back to the lobby all the time,” another chimed in. Fortnite players call for major change to “dumb” Shakedown mechanic Epic GamesThe Fortnite community has called on Epic Games to change one of their newest features, the ‘Shakedown’, after experiencing some frustrating issues. Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 introduced a ton of new features into the game, including weapons, skins, and more. One of the most interesting additions was the Shakedown feature, which allows players to pick up enemies and NPC agents and ‘interrogate’ them to find out the locations of chests, fellow henchmen, and other players. At first, this proved to be incredibly useful as it allowed players to track down a whole squad, but it has now turned into a frustrating issue. Reddit user VanDenTopHeavy shared a clip of a shakedown on Feb 24, summarizing what’s wrong with the feature in it’s current form. The problem with Shakedowns breaks down into two key issues. First off, it’s quite a lengthy animation that can be canceled, so it leaves players incredibly vulnerable. This wouldn’t be a huge issue by itself, as it would just mean that you have to ensure you’re in a safe place before doing it. However, the second, and biggest, problem is that the shakedown button is the same as picking up weapons. This means that if you’ve just downed someone and need to quickly grab their gun to continue a fight, you’re more than likely to inadvertently perform the shakedown action, wasting time and possibly getting killed. To top things off, the feature itself does not have a key bind in the game’s settings, meaning players can’t manually change it. Most users called for Epic to just make the animation cancellable, with comments like “Or they could just have it be cancelable” and “Should just make it so you can cancel somehow” filling the Reddit thread. While others simply put the blame on the devs. “Sometimes I wonder if Epic devs are a bit dumb or if it’s with purposes,” one said. Epic have not yet commented on the issue, although they no doubt have their hands full dealing with everything that came with the release of Season 2. For now, fans will just have to do their best to play around the issue, and hope that the next patch will offer some sort of fix.

It seems that with every week that goes by now, Epic is adding a new skin as part of their ICON series into the game, and Fortnite fans on Reddit are calling for an explosive persona to be added into the game to receive his own skin. Fortnite fans want Gordon Ramsay In a post on the official Fortnite subreddit, a question was posed to members of the community asking which collaboration they would most want to see added into the game. Taking us and everyone else, by a bit of a surprise, the top comment on this post was Gordon Ramsay, with a total of 180+ upvotes at the time of writing. This idea is undoubtedly intriguing for various reasons, Gordon Ramsay is arguably the world’s most renowned chef, mainly due to this aggressive personality on TV. Appearing in shows such as Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef, and Kitchen Nightmares, and more memes than we can count, the 54-year-old isn’t afraid to tell you how he’s feeling, or how the food actually tastes, and his presence in Fortnite is something a lot of players would probably happily accept. The best part about this Reddit post is that we could actually see Epic come up with something revolving around Gordon Ramsay sometime in the near future. They are a company after all, that constantly pushes what they can add into their game, and we saw this during Season 7 with the addition of aliens. Limited Time Modes in Fortnite give players alternate game modes to enjoy the battle royale’s engine in other ways. Games like Disco Domination, Teams of 20, and Team Rumble were all focused on the battle royale aspect. While Epic Games has plenty of BR LTMs, players are beginning to worry, as they feel that they are now only focused on releasing Creative LTMs. Fortnite players want BR LTMs instead of Creative Epic Games’ Fortnite has been out for almost 5 years and has changed its method toward implementing new game modes for its players. A Reddit post by ‘FNInternetExplorer’ mentions how back in the older days, Fortnite received “Battle Royale LTMs.” Now they are claiming the devs are only releasing Creative LTMs which are less enjoyable. One Redditor said, “They just keep pushing those creative maps. They think we prefer them over LTMs.” While another added, “Creative maps are 99% trash and copy & paste. One hour or more modes before the game can end.” Players believe that the devs are trying too hard to throw this agenda on them and fear there is “no end in sight.” “I’m tired of Creative LTMs. I get they wanna show off maps made by the community but come on that’s no reason to just drop original LTMs.” These original ones, include Disco Domination, 50v50, Food Fight, and others. While Fortnite patch 19.10 is set to release on January 18, unfortunately, players won’t be getting a BR LTM. Every season, Fortnite introduces new weapons and items to the Battle Royale while occasionally bringing back the ones from the past. This helps shake things up in the game, as it often leads to a different meta depending on the loot pool available that season. While that’s the case, this also means that your favorite weapon in the season won’t always be around forever. There might come a time when they’ll eventually get vaulted, and nobody knows when they’ll be coming back. Regarding this, Fortnite players have gathered in a Reddit thread to discuss which weapon they want back in the game. One of them are the Chrome weapons introduced in Chapter 3, Season 4. For the uninitiated, these aren’t like most weapons you’d find in the game. Other weapons are set in a certain rarity when you loot them. Chrome weapons, however, initially belong to the Uncommon rarity when you first pick them up. Here’s the catch. As you deal more damage with these weapons, you can upgrade them to a higher rarity. So, for example, even though you pick up an Uncommon EvoChrome rifle at the start of the match, you’ll likely end up with a Mythic one at the end of the game – assuming you’re getting kills and enough damage. Since they were first introduced, no other weapon has had the same mechanic as Chrome weapons, and now players want them back. One user claimed they’re “amazing” to which another replied, “Genuinely miss them. The progression of making them stronger made me play more aggressively and made me a better player. They were solid weapons.” Another user wrote: “I hate how they were a gimmick to that specific season and not a returning weapon. Changing rarity as they got more damage was so engaging. That season as a whole had great mechanics I just didn’t like the map all that much at the time.” Meanwhile, another user said they were “a great equalizer for playstyles.” They explained, “You had to use them to level up or kill someone and get theirs. Apart from skins, emotes are equally popular since they include dance moves and actions inspired by social media trends, music videos, or even certain TV series and films. While Fortnite has hundreds of emotes, it is highly unusual that two emotes do the same action. Unfortunately, Epic introduced a brand new Jubi Slide emote in the in-game Item Shop that is eerily identical to an existing Fortnite emote known as Side Shuffle. After seeing the listing in the shop, some players gathered to call Epic “greedy” and accused them of using “cash-grabbing tactics”. Fortnite players claim being “scammed” with similar Item Shop emotes Fortnite players are calling out Epic Games on social media platforms such as X and FortniteBR subreddit for releasing a new emote called Jubi Slide worth 500 V-Bucks, which is surprisingly identical to the existing Side Shuffle emote with different music and a slight change in movement. An X user named Happy Power said, “It’s pretty lame that Epic is reusing the same emote just with a different song, and selling it full-priced.” Similarly, a Reddit user named GustavoGmmr wrote, “The New Jubi Slide is literally a scam. It’s the same emote as Side Shuffle, and only changes the song, and Icon.” Players with similar thoughts turned in their comments with one such user saying, “Same, could really use a refund ticket right about now.” Another user argued, “This feels like a situation where a refund ticket shouldn’t even be needed. Fortnite players call for changes to health system in Pop-Up Cup tournaments Fortnite players have ran into an important problem in the game’s Pop-Up Cup tournament mode that is leading to players asking Epic Games to step in a fix the issue. The Pop-Up Cup rules were introduced with patch v6.30 on November 14 as an experimental mode that rewards players for engaging in more firefights. Epic Games is now being asked to come up with a solution for a Pop-Up Cup tournament issue that revolves around players not getting their health regen after killing a player. In Pop-Up Cup events a player is given 50 health, or 50 points of shield if on max health, for each kill they earn. Team Liquid star Ryan ‘Chap’ Chap was one of the first players to run into the issue during a game where he was dealt 99 damage by a player he has just downed, but since the player bled out and wasn’t directly eliminated by Chap, he got no health back whatsoever. In another instance, pro player Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro downed a player cleanly, but didn’t get credit for the kill since the player disconnected before he could finish the kill. As such, ZexRow didn’t receive the health bonus even though he was the one who knocked the player. Epic Games knew that the implementation of the rules might come with some growing pains, while the mode has already been used for the EU Winter Royale. With an exploit like this gaining publicity, it’ll be interesting to see if Epic Games makes some changes before the North American iteration of the competition set to take place December 11-12.

Unfortunately, some fans have taken umbrage with the iconic special op’s rendition by Epic Games, with many claiming the developer flattened his butt for no good reason. Fortnite players unimpressed with Solid Snake’s lack of ‘cake’ While Solid Snake’s Fortnite skin is currently unavailable in Fortnite, it is part of the Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass. As such, players were able to at least get a look at the fictional spy before his official release. Fans were quick to point out that something about his Fortnite skin seemed lacking. “EPIC GAMES ARE COWARDS,” wrote one Fortnite fan on X, who attached a screenshot of Solid Snake facing away from the camera. Fortnite players break Pandora’s Box chains in less than 24 hours Twitter: ShiinaFortnite players have broken the chains on Pandora’s Box less than a day after it appeared on the map to progress the season-ending event. The first season of Chapter 5 is coming to a close on March 8 and with it will usher in a new era. Chapter 5’s initial season focused on saving Peely and defeating members of The Society. However, the new season will center around Greek mythology. Fortnite typically teases the upcoming season by making changes around the map. This time earthquakes began happening in different areas and eventually created cracks in the ground. After multiple earthquakes broke open parts of the map, a hand appeared holding a large box surrounded by chains. This would become known as the Pandora’s Box which would have to be open to progress the event. In less than 24 hours, players have broken in and released a hellish tornado. Fortnite Pandora’s Box gets chains broken When Pandora’s Box was unearthed, players quickly discovered they would have to work together to break the chains. While the chains surrounding the box did have health bars, they were much stronger than what players could have anticipated. With a health bar rumored to be upwards of 50 million, it would take a collaborative effort to make a dent in the chains. However, what seemed like a near-impossible task was no match for the Fortnite community. In less than 24 hours since the box appeared, it has now been opened. The initial event was bugged for some players, which revealed the contents of the box early before the chains could be broken. Inside the box is a large orange tornado that lifts players into the air. But now that the box is open, this can be seen by all players. It is unknown what will happen next in the event now that the tornado has been unleashed. However, there are still five days left until the season starts, which means another movement in the event is sure to occur.

Fortnite Players Build a Halo Inspired No-Scope Stadium in Playground Mode A Fortnite squad built a Bounce and Launch Pad filled arena to have a no-scope challenge. Created using Playground mode, the “No-Scope Stadium” video shows off the potential of customizable games inside Fortnite. The four players built the symmetrical, bouncy space and jumped in with Hunting Rifles to secure highlight reel eliminations. The video provides a much different take on Fortnite, turning it into an old school arena shooter. If the action heavy gameplay and symmetrical map filled with ramps reminds you of Halo, that is not a coincidence. ipatso, the creator of the video, replied to a comment on the similarities to Halo’s map building Forge mode. Yup! All of us in this video are OG Halo players and couldn’t agree more. Forge had no boundaries, from utilizing the morph crates into each other glitch to making/playing Saw like maps. If only.. Some of the players would like to see Fortnite’s Playground mode include the ability to save and share their creations, like Halo Forge. Although Epic did not put the ability to save and share in Playground yet, the mode did return with a number of enhanced features that allow videos like ipatso’s to be created. Players can now join separate teams in the middle of the match and voice chat will be unaffected. Aim-assist is also turned on in Playground, making those no-scopes a little bit more manageable.

Since its inception, Fortnite has done a daily cycle of cosmetic goods in its Item Shop and has listed certain categories, resulting in a catalog of things for buyers to choose from. In Chapter 5 Season 1, the Item Shop garnered considerable criticism from players, with some disappointed by its new problematic design and others believing that the LEGO and Festival modes destroyed the shop for them. However, as the season comes to a close, users are complaining about the ridiculous shop’s daily item rotations. Here’s what they said about it. Pretty early in the season, fans discovered bigger things were coming after discovering hidden nods to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Fast forward, and the long-anticipated crossover with the ninjas/pizza enjoyers is finally here, with new quests and cosmetics to earn. However, the crossover is drawing some anger, with fans pointing out key issues with the Item Shop’s pricing strategy. Fortnite players blast TMNT Item Shop pricing Shared to Fortnite’s subreddit, Apprentice_Jedi shared an image of the Master Splinter skin. As part of the crossover, players can purchase the Turtle’s teacher from the Item Shop for 1500 V-Bucks. While that seems rather harmless, Apprentice_Jedi points out that players only receive the skin, a LEGO variant, and a Back Bling for 1500 V-Bucks. Players can purchase the staff separately, but that’ll cost an additional 800 V-Bucks since there’s no bundle option. “This is more than an individual Ninja Turtle and the entirety of April’s Bundle which includes significantly more items. 2,300 for three items is crazy,” Apprentice_Jedi said. Many others chimed in with similar thoughts: “Dude, it’s been like this for a while, and it is very unacceptable. I don’t really buy stuff I would before anymore.” After agreeing with how “lame” the cane being sold separately is, one player replied with their lore-accurate alternative: “I will probably just use Mikey’s nunchucks with him to make it lore-appropriate with how Splinter defeated Shredder in the first film.” The other issue others have noticed is the TMNT Instrument Bundle costing a whooping 3000 V-Bucks. “30 dollars for the music set that’s not worth it at all sell them for 300 each like wraps that’s basically what they are,” one player reflected.
