Fortnite players blame LEGO mode for “ruining” the Item Shop Epic Games / LEGOEpic Games put Jack Skellington back in the Fortnite store, but players were unhappy that he didn’t come with his bundle, and blamed LEGO Fortnite Skins have become a massive part of the Fortnite economy, and Epic Games makes sure to constantly update the shop with exciting new releases. Players have been especially hyped about the new Fortnite Giant Chicken skin, even if it can be hit through walls. Jack Skellington was a skin that was originally released in Chapter 4 Season 4 with the Pumpkin King bundle that came with the skin. Epic Games has now added him back into the store, but players were confused and upset when they saw that he didn’t have his bundle. Fortnite players think LEGO mode is the reason for “joke” Jack Skellington skin One Fortnite fan complained on social media about the absence of the Jack Skellington bundle and thought that it was because his emote didn’t work in the LEGO mode. “I hope this Minecraft rip-off gimmick dies out. It ruined shops. Also, Heart Breaker is back but they put him between the music tracks. These shops are not only terrible but also broken.” Other players agreed that the Item Shop was suffering because of the LEGO Fortnite mode. “Lego Fortnite needs a separate shop at this point,” one fan pleaded. Other players agreed and complained that some players just wanted to play the original Battle Royale mode and not have LEGO integration affect the skins they wanted. “Legit they should have a dedicated ‘Lego Fortnite specials’ section, all this pandering towards that mode is making people who play BR hate it lmao.” However, this isn’t the first time players have complained about the absence of skins or bundles in the item shop, with some players still waiting for skins like Travis Scott or Kratos.

Fortnite players believe revive was removed because it spoiled a future plot twist – Dexerto
Fortnite players believe revive was removed because it spoiled a future plot twist Fortnite/DexertoFortnite players think Epic Games might have let slip a big story beat too soon. The theory suggests Epic Games intended the mechanic for removing Doctor Doom’s henchmen to serve a later plot twist. In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, Castle Doom became a central location. This new point of interest is home to Doctor Doom, whom you can defeat to earn his medallion and mythic, along with his henchmen. When the season dropped, players could revive Doom’s henchmen after downing them. This mechanic allowed players to temporarily recruit these NPCs as allies for the rest of the match. Recently, Epic Games pulled this feature without prior notice – and left no trace of its existence either. On Reddit, players speculated that its sudden removal might hint at a forthcoming story beat. Commenters quickly warmed up to this theory. “Yeah, with how quickly it was removed, my guess is it wasn’t intended to be a feature at launch, but rather later on during the season,” one player mused. Some believe the Doom Guards might later refuse to work for Doctor Doom, instead becoming allies for players. “This week’s history quest is headshotting them to take off the brain chip,” one player remarked, “so I’m sure next week is about them.” Reactions continued with one player speculating, “No way ‘give a second chance’ is unintentional.” When reviving a regular teammate in Fortnite, the prompt simply says “Revive.” Epic Games added a special touch by changing the button’s prompt to “Give a second chance” for Doom Guards. This change fuels the theory that Epic intended it for a future plot twist. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 keeps serving up unexpected storylines. And it’s not the first time a story beat has landed oddly – analyzing the end of Chapter 5 Season 3, Doctor Doom starts to look more like a hero than a villain.

Fortnite players beg for Locker changes in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg for Locker changes in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite players are once again Epic Games to make significant changes to the Locker system with Chapter 5 Season 2. The Fortnite Locker has been a hotly debated topic throughout Chapter 5. When releasing Chapter 5, Epic Games made changes to the Lock UI that were slammed by players who called the switch “garbage.” In light of the backlash, Fortnite’s developers assured fans that there would be Locker changes coming in the near future. However, that promise was made almost three months ago. With the second season of Chapter 5 fast approaching, players are once again calling on Epic Games to make good on its promises and change the Locker UI. Fortnite players want Locker UI changes In a Reddit post made before the launch of Season 2, players discussed the issues plaguing the Locker UI. The pain points surrounding the Locker are the lack of a shuffle function and multiple bugs. “JUST GIVE US SHUFFLING AND LINKING PRESETS COME ONE WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG,” said one commenter. “Also I’d like to see the little rarity border return for all the default rarities. Current design is a bit hard to look through and that was a nice way to easily find some things” Permanent examination marks also bothered users, who state that no matter what they do they are still alerted that they have something new in their Lockers. This has been an ongoing issue in Chapter 5. “I absolutely hated how they separated saved skins from the emotes you saved on them,” said another commenter. “I had to delete nearly every saved emote pack because it was just a mess. I had emotes set for each skin.” The introduction of a new season would be the perfect time for Fortnite to deliver on its promise of Locker UI changes, but nothing has been seen yet. Chapter 5 Season 2 releases on March 8 and will introduce the concept of flying, while centering around the idea of gods and goddesses from Greek Mythology.

Fortnite players beg for Locker update to overhaul skin loadouts – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg for Locker update to overhaul skin loadouts Epic GamesA fan-made Fortnite UI overhaul to the game’s lockers is making players want the feature to be updated for a much cleaner way of picking or editing skin loadouts. Epic Games have pumped tons of outfits in the battle royale throughout the years. Not only are there hundreds of character skins – and dozens of crossovers – but there are even more cosmetics for gliders, pickaxes, effects, and more. While the developers have made great strides in expanding Fortnite’s library of skins, some feel the Locker hasn’t kept up with just how much variety is in the game these days. Instead of waiting for an overhaul, Redditor ‘Ponzip’ created their own version of the Fortnite Locker that is picking up steam among players for its clean presentation and ability to register multiple skin loadout presets. Fortnite Locker overhaul update Going by the player’s concept, swapping between different sets of Fortnite skins can be streamlined with a simple card switch. With a touch of a button, players would be able to make wholesale changes to their appearance while waiting for their next game. The functionality and clean design of the concept are turning heads in the Fortnite community, and players are anxious for Epic to take a cue for the mockup. “If we can convince Epic to leave some snow on the map we can maybe convince them to implement this into the game,” one player said in response to the concept. “This is the one-of-a-kind concept that sounds be implemented into the game ASAP,” another said. “This is spectacular! Would make things much easier to use.” The concept took Ponzip about a month to put together, and it’s been an instant hit with Fortnite players who also want an update to outfit selections.

Fortnite players beg Epic to bring back old skins amid ongoing lawsuit – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg Epic to bring back old skins amid ongoing lawsuit Epic GamesGiven the $73M demand from Apple, players have started poking fun at Epic and suggesting that they should bring rare skins back. Renegade Raider and Paradigm are just some of the highly requested ones. The legal battle between Epic Games and Apple can be traced all the way back to 2020, which resulted in Fortnite eventually getting removed from the App Store. After the recent court order, it has recently been made apparent that Apple has demanded Epic Games to pay $73M for legal fees. Following this, Fortnite players couldn’t help but poke fun at the situation, claiming that Epic should bring back old skins to “make ends meet.” This is largely due to the recent Item Shop rotation that seems to cycle nearly the same skins and emotes the past few weeks. It all started from a post on X showing a screenshot of the Item Shop that a user claimed would look like for next week. As opposed to the usual Item Shop, it features some of the rarest skins in the game, including Renegade Raider, Paradigm, and Travis Scott, to name a few. Since it was first posted, the comments have been flooded by players who are keen on the idea. After all, it’s no secret that certain Fortnite skins don’t come back, especially if they’re part of an old Battle Pass or Crew Pack. One of the top responses was, “Here at Epic, we are pleased to announce the return of old battle passes.” This was followed by another user replying, “I’d happily lend my kidney for this.” On the other hand, others who joined in the comments begged Epic to bring back some notable skins that have yet to return to the shop, such as Spider-Man, Kratos, and Chun Li. Collab skins aside, original character skins such as Meowskulls and Paradigm seem to be highly requested by players as well. It’s likely because they play a part in Fortnite’s lore, similar to Midas and other well-known Fortnite characters. Another user also mentioned adding a specific emote back would be a good idea. “They will make it back in 36 hours if they put the griddy in,” they said. It’s unclear whether or not Epic will decide to bring these skins back, but seeing the rare Black Widow and Stranger Things skins treatment recently, looks like anything is possible.

Fortnite players beg for counters to vehicular terror in Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg for counters to vehicular terror in Chapter 5 Season 3 Epic GamesCars are dominating Fortnite’s battle royale mode, and players are begging for ways to combat vehicle users. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 features a Mad Max theme where the island has been converted into a wasteland overrun by bandits with jacked-up vehicles. One of the key features this time around is that vehicles can be modded with unique attachments like gun turrets, bulletproof tires, and more, following the theme of Mad Max. Within hours of the season’s launch, players have discovered the current meta will be cars, as the new moddable attachments can shred the opposition in seconds. Numerous posts flooded the game’s subreddit as players sent their foes back to the lobby with a fury of machine turret bullets. The problem players have encountered is if one can’t find a vehicle, it’s nigh impossible to combat those in them. A series of posts have acknowledged that issue, with players petitioning for the return of key items like the Shield Break EMP and the Goo Gun. While the EMP seems like a great counter, one player argued it would’ve “ruined the fun and the entire gimmick.” A fair point given this season centers on vehicular mayhem. Others agreed with the previous that the EMP was tuned way too strong and would render vehicles useless. A popular request by fans has been the reintroduction of the Anvil Rocket Launcher. After being vaulted for a good chunk of time, Chapter 5 Season 1 unvaulted the weapon. Yet it was vaulted once again with Season 2’s debut. With cars currently very strong, Fortnite players are generally confused as to why neither of these items are available. “They for some reason add the EMP grenades and Anvil Launchers in seasons where they’re not needed.” a player summarized. Chapter 5 Season 3 is still fresh, so it’s possible Epic Games will unleash these options to counter cars in the future. If that’s the case, the developers may face the tough act of balancing vehicles while providing suitable anti-vehicle counters.

Fortnite players beg Epic not to lock V-Bucks in bonus rewards next season – Dexerto
Fortnite players beg Epic not to lock V-Bucks in bonus rewards next season Epic GamesFortnite players are begging Epic not to include V-Bucks behind the bonus rewards section in next season’s Battle Pass. Fortnite Battle Passes are usually popular among players because they offer exclusive cosmetic items that are only available for a short period. Furthermore, these passes feature in-game currency V-Bucks as rewards, allowing buyers to recoup their investment in a Battle Pass over the course of a season. In the most recent Chapter 5 Season 1, Fortnite included V-Bucks beyond level 100 as bonus rewards for players to unlock. However, this was received with scathing criticism, with some even blaming Epic for restricting V-Bucks to insane levels. Similarly, with Chapter 5 Season 2 coming soon, users are begging Epic not to lock V-Bucks in bonus rewards for the Battle Pass. Fortnite players demand Epic not to gatekeep Battle Pass V-Bucks in bonus rewards A Reddit user posted an image of their Bonus Rewards page in the current Fortnite Battle Pass and said, “I am actually begging Epic not to put V-Bucks in the bonus rewards ever again. This s**t is so grindy and I ran out of quests to do so.” Other players who agreed with the sentiment in the Reddit post also joined in to describe their experience with the current V-Bucks situation in the Battle Pass and offered some advice to the user. One such player said, “Pro tip: don’t buy the BP this late in the season.” Another chimed in, “For people that don’t know, you can get like 5 levels from going afk in Lego Fortnite for 3.5 hours (30k XP every 15 minutes).” A third user commented, “I do parkour to get XP when it gets too grindy. I’ve been getting around 150,000 XP per 45 minutes or so.” Some players feel “This season was long as hell” and with “5 different game modes + Creative to take advantage of,” gathering XP was much easier when compared to the previous instances. Few players argued Epic would never “think about taking V-bucks out of the bonus rewards” as it “benefits them more to do it.” “The premium BP contains enough V-bucks to basically get another BP for free the next season, but if someone doesn’t grind all the way up to the final V-bucks tier then they’ll have to fork over the money,” they said

Fortnite players bash “greedy” Epic Games ahead of Eminem skin launch – Dexerto
Fortnite players bash “greedy” Epic Games ahead of Eminem skin launch AveryAnimator/Epic GamesFortnite players are now bashing Epic Games for being too greedy right before Eminem’s cosmetic skin bundle launches ahead of the Big Bang live event. Here’s the full scenario and what the players exactly mean by their comments on the matter. As Fortnite Season OG draws to a close this week, players can’t wait to see the Big Bang – the Chapter 4 live event – and the unveiling of the new Chapter 5 island. Announcing Eminem’s performance during the Big Bang has really ramped up the excitement, even though this is the first event in this chapter since Chapter 3’s Fracture. Fans of the rap icon can’t wait to see the live event now that he is set to receive his Icon Series bundle in the Item Shop inspired by classic Eminem looks. Since the announcement, there have been leaks online showing cosmetics associated with the Eminem x Fortnite collaboration, and many are upset After witnessing other collaborations arrive into the game from the start, users are now accusing Epic of being “too greedy” with Eminem’s cosmetic bundle. Here’s what they had to say on the matter. Fortnite players bash Epic for being greedy with three different Eminem skins A Redditor named Gingerchrs posted an image of the three leaked skins from Eminem x Fortnite collab, which includes the Slim Shady outfit, Marshall Never More outfit, and the Rap Boy outfit. The leak revealed that instead of these being selectable styles of the same outfit, there will be three different skins released independently in the Item Shop. The user picked up on this leak and bashed Epic for being “extremely greedy” and deceiving players instead of offering these looks as edit styles. Another user agreed and replied, “Nah, I’m just buying Slim Shady and calling it a day. That’s just ridiculous.” Another one chimed in, “In the end they’re just a company that wants our money.” A third defended Epic by arguing, “What if the only way Eminem and his people agreed to do the collaboration was for it to be this way? A collaboration can’t happen unless both sides come to an agreement, and maybe this was his side’s doing.” A fourth person said, “Why do you all always scapegoat blame to whoever you feel like? You think Eminem said “nah I need three different skins”? H*** f*** some people.” While players continue to debate on the decision made by Epic, you must know that upon attending the Big Bang live event, you can get a free Marshall Mathers skin in the game.

Fortnite players bash “unnecessary” Item Shop update in Chapter 5 hotfix – Dexerto
Fortnite players bash “unnecessary” Item Shop update in Chapter 5 hotfix Epic GamesA new Fortnite Chapter 5 hotfix has removed the Item Shop countdown, as players are left baffled over what the point of this change was. Fortnite Chapter 5 has been out for a little over a month, introducing players to the next evolution of the Battle Royale. A new weapon mod system, three new game modes, and much more are just a few of this season’s highlights. However, it hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine, as player frustration has been steady, with snipers ruining lobbies worldwide. Another frustration in the community has been with the Item Shop, which despite being once home to items galore, various players have criticized it for not having anything unique since Chapter 5 launched. With the arrival of a new hotfix, the Item Shop has appeared to continue its descent into madness, with a seemingly “pointless” change leading to many questions from the community. Fortnite players question “unnecessary” Item shop update The new hotfix deployed, reintroducing the Crash Pad Jr. However, as spotted by well-known Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, it seems the Item Shop timer has been removed as well. In its place, Epic Games has instead inserted a text stating how the Item Shop refresh works: “The shop refreshes every day, usually at 7:00 PM ET (which is midnight GMT).” This change certainly left many confused, as summed up by responses, such as “Pointless change,” or “Hard to tell when it refreshes when the same skins and items have been in there since December.” Of course, this leads to a bigger issue as noted by this response: “So this means they can drop any cosmetic (especially the collab ones), at *anytime* really moving forward.” The above issue reflects a well-known concern in the live service industry which is “FoMo,” aka fear of missing out. With this change, who knows if Epic Games will stick with the traditional 7 PM EST refresh time? If the developer doesn’t, it could force players into making split-decision purchases, especially since some skins don’t return for months. Epic Games has gone on to respond to player feedback, although there’s no timetable on when a fix will come through.

Fortnite players bash Epic’s mod system for allowing “racist and insensitive” maps – Dexerto
Fortnite players bash Epic’s mod system for allowing “racist and insensitive” maps PinterestFortnite players are now bashing moderators of Epic Games for allowing racist and insensitive Creative maps. While the Creative Library is full of such unethical games, here’s what the community had to say. When compared to other Battle Royale games such as Call of Duty Warzone, Apex Legends, etc., Fortnite offers a lot more. A living ecology of many experiences, like LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, has developed around the Epic Games title. But before three new game modes were released, players could make their own mini-games in Fortnite’s sandbox Creative mode, and with the Creative 2.0 update, the level of innovation in these maps has already gone up a notch. Now, developers may make minigames on any subject they can imagine by importing their own 3D graphic assets. However, the rigorous moderation staff at Epic Games reviews each map and grants publishing clearance to the creators before they go live. But with the rise of increasingly immoral games in Fortnite Creative, players have recently expressed their dissatisfaction with the present mod system. Some players have accused the games of being “racist and insensitive” and have criticized the moderation team for allowing the maps on Fortnite. Fortnite players call for mods to ban unethical Creative maps Well-known Fortnite data miner HYPEX shared their thoughts on the current state of the game’s Creative mode and the range of unethical maps on the platform. They shared screenshots of certain maps that were racist and insensitive as they referred to ongoing world issues and promoted hate speech. Similarly, Fortnite map creators such as MrMonkeyFN also shared a screenshot of a map that promotes racism towards Africans and has absurd cover art. He said, “This is f****d up… Epic like w**… Please do something.” Other players also joined in the conversation where one player said, “If this is not racist idk what is anymore.” Another chimed in, “I never knew they were becoming Roblox moderation team.” A third user added, “Their system to approve islands is a joke literally. Bunch of creators trying to post a normal map to have fun have to deal sending 6/10 times because the content is not ‘valid’. And disabling islands really does nothing, their SAC (Support a Creator) needs to be removed ASAP.” A fourth player commented, “Fortnite Creative has become a money-farming s**t-show after UEFN released, nothing feels genuine anymore and it’s extremely demotivating from a platform I love.” A fifth one replied, “Since there are no negative consequences, these types of people do what they want without caring about the rules or morals. There should be more severe consequences at all. Hopefully, Epic will change and be very strict.”

Fortnite players bash Aphrodite skin as “major downgrade” from concept art – Dexerto
Fortnite players bash Aphrodite skin as “major downgrade” from concept art FortniteFortnite players are causing an uproar over the lack of similarity between the survey and the in-game version of the Aphrodite skin. The start of Chapter 5 Season 2 has been rocky, with countless delays and numerous issues with purchases and matchmaking. But after a full day of issues, Fortnite has finally come through on the other side. Myths and Mortals, the theme for this season, brings Greek gods and goddesses into the world of Fortnite. Players can unlock their skins through the battle pass or see them in-game thanks to NPCs. However, as if the tech issues weren’t bad enough, now players are complaining about the lack of detail added to one of the most highly-anticipated skins of the season. Fortnite players call Aphrodite skin a “major downgrade” Before releasing the skins in the battle pass, Epic Games released a survey for fans to vote on. This survey revealed potential upcoming skins that would match the Myths and Mortals theme. While the skins were well-received, some players think that Epic let them down by releasing downgraded versions of the concepts. The skin that has faced the most criticism so far has been the Aphrodite skin. “The concept art has always looked so much better than the actual skins,” said one commenter. “It’s so disappointing sometimes.” Aphrodite is not the only skin that players felt was a watered-down version of the survey skins. “I feel like every skin besides Artemis is like at least a little worse than the survey art,” replied another. “But man did Aphrodite and Medusa really get the short end of the stick.” There are still additional skins from the survey that have not been revealed in the game. It’s uncertain whether these skins will be added to the item shop at a later date or if they will remain merely as skin concepts.

Fortnite players baffled over what is hiding beneath Chapter 5’s melting glacier – Dexerto
Fortnite players baffled over what is hiding beneath Chapter 5’s melting glacier Epic GamesFortnite players have been left perplexed over the melting glacier on Chapter 5’s map that has been slowly disappearing with every mid-season update. Fortnite’s map and its changes have always been a hot topic for players, ever since Chapter 1’s first island featured in the Battle Royale. From the biggest of alterations, such as a whole new map launching with every Chapter, or just various small updates and tweaks to certain areas, there’s always been something to talk about. One subtle change that has been captivating the community however is the steady melting of the snow and glacier with each Chapter 5 Season 1 mid-season update. Fortnite players clueless over melting glacier on Chapter 5 island The large glacier and its sweeping slope of ice first appeared at the start of Chapter 5 as part of the brand-new island. It is located next to the Grand Glacier POI, just south of the hotel. Ever since the ice and surrounding snow started melting after the first update, players have been increasingly suspicious. When a Fortnite player therefore asked: “What do you think will be under the melting glacier?” It quickly started a widespread discussion and has left many baffled over what it could be. The top comment poked fun at the developers and suggested that it was “Retail row making its 53rd comeback.” Other players chimed in to suggest many other classic POI and fan-favorite locations, such as Greasy Grove, Tilted Towers, and even Coral Cove. However, various players suggested the idea that it’s related to next season, particularly regarding the main rumor that it will be a Greek theme. One player stated: “I’m hoping that, since a Greek mythology-inspired season seems to be heavily implied, it could be some sort of iced-over Greek temple as a little foreshadowing, maybe.” While others gave suggestions of “Atlantis” and “Mount Olympus.” Aside from locations, monsters like Trog and the Polar Peak Monster, as well as the weapons Infinity Blade and Kinetic Blade were also submitted for potential items hidden in the glacier. Despite nobody knowing what actually is hidden beneath the glacier or next season’s theme for certain, the snow looks to be on pace to be fully melted by the end of the season on March 8, 2024. We’ll be on the lookout to update you of any findings along the way, but we may have to wait till Chapter 5 Season 2 finally begins for a full reveal.

Fortnite players baffled by Hammer Pump Shotgun’s return in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite players baffled by Hammer Pump Shotgun’s return in Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesThe latest season of Fortnite sees the return of the Hammer Pump Shotgun, yet fans are wondering why it’s back when the newer additions outclass it in every way. After an extended downtime on launch, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is in full swing, introducing a new Greek mythology theme to Epic Games’ title. As veterans of the series know, each new season sees the addition of new items to conquer the opposition and secure the coveted victory royale. While the new Mythic items have certainly been a highlight, the addition of a new shotgun is raising questions as to why a returning shotgun is still in the game. Fortnite players meme Hammer Pump Shotgun’s use In a post shared to the Fortnite subreddit, one player raised the debate in question, wondering why the Hammer Pump Shotgun returned in Chapter 5 Season 2. “The new shotgun is the same thing but just shoots faster and has a bigger spread,” they said about the Gatekeeper Shotgun, Chapter 5 Season 2’s newest addition to the weapon pool. Of course, the replies were pretty much to be expected from the community. “To have something to complain about when you land and “can only find a trash pump,” one player shared. Another replied: “It’s there to disappoint you every time you open a chest.” However, one reply highlighted its return is to commemorate Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 1 hero, Peter Griffin. That said, a few comments mentioned its use is solely for Build Mode, meaning if you run Zero Build, you’ll find it nearly useless. Epic Games’ is active in constantly updating Fortnite throughout seasons, so there may be a chance this one gets revisited sometime soon.

Fortnite players baffled over massive nerf nobody asked for – Dexerto
Fortnite players baffled over massive nerf nobody asked for Epic GamesFortnite players have been left confused after Epic Games issued an extreme nerf to the scanning abilities of Recon NPCs and POI Banners in the Battle Royale. Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode has constantly been updated and tweaked by Epic Games as they try to keep things balanced. As developers typically have unleashed new content updates every few weeks and new season updates every couple of months, it can be tricky to keep it competitive. In Chapter 5, the talking points in the community have revolved around particular OP items and weapons. These include snipers, the Ballistic Shield and Medallions, which have all dominated the meta, caused mass divides and had nerfs. However, seemingly out of the blue, Epic has now puzzled players by issuing an extreme nerf to the scanning abilities of Recon NPCs and even disabled them completely for POI Banners. Fortnite players confused over Recon NPC and POI Banner nerf Fortnite player Leading-Pop5059 posted to the community: “So there’s no point in recon NPCs, and who was even complaining about this?” It was shown alongside a screenshot of a reported hotfix on February 23, which trusted creator and leaker HYPEX stated: “NPCs & POI Banners no longer mark nearby enemies and chests.” Specifically, Epic has entirely disabled the scanning of POI Banners, but instead of deactivating it completely for Recon NPCs, they have just drastically nerfed their ability. “Recon NPCs now only scan the nearby area every 10,000 seconds instead of 45 seconds,” they further explained. Many equally confused players flooded in with their comments. “Epic try not to nerf everything into the ground challenge (IMPOSSIBLE),” with another pointing out that “it only scans once per game then? 10k seconds is 2.78 hours.” However, various players soon suggested it was because of a glitch: “Scanning is bugged, so they made it so nothing can scan anymore.” Despite one claiming that “the bug was that there was no audio played if you were scanned except the little diamond on your head which you could easily not notice.” HYPEX has suggested that the glitch was instead related to “an issue causing darkened lighting issues for some players.” At the time of writing, Epic Games confirmed they had fixed the bug that was causing darkened lighting issues, but scanning for Recon NPCs and POI banners is still disabled.

Fortnite players claim Epic randomly gifted them old skins & V-Bucks – Dexerto
Fortnite players claim Epic randomly gifted them old skins & V-Bucks Epic GamesFortnite players claim they loaded up the game and discovered Epic had given them old skins and V-Bucks for free despite not having played in the season those rewards came out. This wouldn’t be the first time Epic Games has randomly given out forgotten-about skins and other cosmetic items from previous seasons. In November of last year, an OG Fortnite player revealed they had randomly received various rare Chapter 1 skins after starting up Fortnite years later. Now, a similar situation has happened in Chapter 5 Season 3 according to some Fortnite players on Reddit, with multiple players reporting they were given rewards for challenges from several seasons ago. One player asked: “Did anyone else just get this skin for no reason? I thought it was gone a long time ago.” Their accompanying screenshot showed they had received the Underworld Desdemona skin, which was a reward from the expired Coldest Circles Quests in Chapter 4 Season 2. “The ability to purchase it was limited time. The challenges stayed until you finished them,” a player responded. However, the OP soon shut this down: “Yeah, but I didn’t even play the game when the skin came out that’s why I’m confused.” “I got this skin for free a while ago as well. Dunno why. I think it was cause I came back to the game after a long break. I don’t personally like the skin so there’s zero chance I bought it,” another stated. Meanwhile, another player claims they were been gifted 200 V-Bucks from Epic on the same day. “Congratulations! You earned 200 V-bucks from all your hard work!” Among the sea of jokes from the community regarding the V-Bucks that it was literally because of their “hard work,” many players suggested different reasons for how this could have happened. “Either a Lobby Track got converted into a free jam track, you bought something that Epic reduced the price of and they gave you back the difference, or you genuinely just randomly got it,” one player speculated. Another suggested: “Or maybe if you owned Rap Boy? But I owned Rap Boy and got nothing so I don’t know.” Epic revealed the Eminem skin was removed from several Lockers a few days prior due to a bug. Others pointed out the Silver Shield emblem meant it related to old unclaimed free Battle Pass tier rewards. “That’s a free Battle Pass symbol on the left side, did you leave two sets of V-Bucks you could’ve claimed but didn’t last season and this is your first time logging in this season?” In regards to the explanations, a player echoed the thoughts of many: “It would be great if Epic Games were better at communicating with us. Preferably something more than ‘all your hard work.”

Fortnite players are swimming under the map with new bug – Dexerto
Fortnite players are swimming under the map with new bug Epic GamesA strange new bug saw a Fortnite player dropped right into a fresh issue as they attempted to start up a boat but ended up falling through the map. Even though there were huge levels of hype surrounding the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, players had been pretty starved of content in season one compared to previous years. Many fans – both causal and well-known – spoke out about the issue before Epic dropped the surprise news about the game moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system, marking one a major change to what players have come to know. However, while Epic tries to work out the kinks with the new system, players are encountering plenty of game-breaking issues. On February 6, Reddit user Vexinal showcased a video from one of their recent solo games where they had been traveling across the land using a boat. Now, earlier in Chapter 2, this had been no issue – even though the boats work much better while on the water. Yet, as Vexinal used one to blow open a part of a house so that they could start looting, it was the start of some issues. After trying to hop back into the boat, the Redditor found themselves only going downwards – phasing right through the floor of the house and they start floating out of the map. However, it wasn’t exactly instant death that greeted them. Instead, they were given a brief chance to swim about before the game eliminated them in pretty spectacular but buggy fashion. Now, with the launch of any new engine or physics system, there are going to be bumps along the way and Epic have seemingly already been made aware of issues with boats – responding to a number of other wild issues. How long it takes for everything to get fixed, though, is a different story altogether and fans will no doubt be hoping that it doesn’t take too long.

Fortnite players are using the new scarecrow skins to trick their opponents in hilarious fashion – Dexerto
Fortnite players are using the new scarecrow skins to trick their opponents in hilarious fashion One of the greatest things about Fortnite Battle Royale is just how creative you can be with the way you play the game and pick up kills, as a number of community members have proven with the new scarecrow skins. I would appear that those new skins, which were added to the game as part of the ongoing Halloween theme, are far more convincing than they originally appear. Especially when used in conjunction with the new T-Pose emote. In fact, they’re so convincing that players are employing a new strategy that sees them fool their opponents into thinking that they are genuine scarecrows dotted around the map. In a post on Reddit titled ‘Don’t mind me… just your average scarecrow Halloween decoration’, ‘ImMarksman’ showed himself using the Straw Ops skin and T-Pose emote while players ran past him for 20 seconds. Eventually he breaks character, pulls out his weapon, and kills two players before they even know what hit them! He’s not the only one, though, as ‘ANattyLight’ found similar success using the Hay Man outfit in fatal fields and tricking an opposing player into thinking he was a genuine scarecrow watching over the crops: The strange new strategy is, of course, going down a storm with members of the Fortnite community, with one Redditor saying: “The entire shop today was made just for this video to be a thing.” The developers are bound to find it hilarious that the new cosmetic items are being used in such a way, but we’re not entirely sure how we feel about being as easy to trick as the average crow…

Fortnite players are stumped why popular Marvel skin is age-restricted – Dexerto
Fortnite players are stumped why popular Marvel skin is age-restricted epic gamesFortnite players are confused as to why one skin from the Marvel franchise has an age restriction to it while other skins from more mature properties don’t have this issue. Aside from its Battle Royale aspects, Fortnite has been known for its massive list of cosmetics, whether from collabs or original character skins. In the current season alone, the game has brought plenty of new Marvel skins and items to spice things up. Speaking of which, fans in a Reddit thread have brought up one issue with one Marvel skin introduced in a past chapter. Unlike most Fortnite skins, the Venom cosmetic is labeled age-restricted in the game, meaning you can’t use it in certain game modes. One user mentioned that Venom was “marked as a 12+ skin” in Fortnite “for some dumb reason” despite the character being loved by kids and grownups alike. Meanwhile, earlier today, Fall Guys, “a 3+ game”, announced it’ll introduce a similar Venom skin in the multiplayer platformer. “How is it fair that a game designed to be safe and perfect for children gets Venom completely unrestricted, yet Fortnite, a game made for teens, has him not only restricted to 12+ experiences but also unable to receive a Lego-style because of this, despite having several appearances in Lego media in the past?” A lot of players in the comments were baffled as to why this is the case with Venom’s skin as well. “Venom and carnage, not for use in under T things. Meanwhile, the Predator is totally fine despite being a bug-faced demon. Yeah, it doesn’t make sense,” commented one user. The same case also goes with Michael Myers, as despite being a well-known horror icon, the skin can be used across all game modes in Fortnite. Another user claimed they didn’t understand why the symbiotes were T-rated to begin with. “They’re literally Spider-Man villains; they’re not that bad. Demogorgon and Xenomorph, I get it. Big Mouth, I sorta get. But the symbiotes? Really? Like you said, they even have Venom beans and Legos.” Meanwhile, one user said that giving ratings on skins is a “dumb decision” overall. They explained that kids playing Fortnite probably already own skins from adult or older shows or “watch things they probably shouldn’t.” Fortnite is known to have plenty of skins, even those from more mature-rated TV series or games. Though only some receive the age restriction treatment.

Fortnite players are “so done” with indestructible Ballistic Shield that’s impossible to beat – Dexerto
Fortnite players are “so done” with indestructible Ballistic Shield that’s impossible to beat Epic GamesFortnite players are finally done with the Ballistic Shield due to the meta qualities that make it impossible to beat. There have been significant changes to the Battle Royale gameplay in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, including the addition of a new island, weapon mods, and a revamped loot pool. Players may now tailor their style of gameplay by personalizing their loadouts and experimenting with different weapons. To survive and advance to Victory Royale, players in Zero Build mode rely on the efficacy of their weaponry. The Ballistic Shield is one such weapon, since it can block incoming shots and is equipped with a deadly pistol for on-the-go damage. The item’s resistance to firepower has propelled it to meta-level invulnerability in the game. Players have therefore proclaimed they are “so done” with the Ballistic Shield due to its insurmountability. Fortnite players claim Ballistic Shield is impossible to beat A Reddit user named ItsThatGoatBoy posted their thoughts on the Ballistic Shield item by saying, “To those saying ‘just pick up an AR to deal with the Ballistic Shield!’, I had this man dead to rights, 30 HP remaining and he whips out the ‘NUH UH’ (shield) and completely ignores a total of 435 damage.” In the clip shared with the comment, the player rushed an opponent using their Grapple Blade and kept maintaining pressure on them. Once they got close enough, the user took out their weapon and started shooting at the opponent. To their surprise, the enemy equipped a Ballistic Shield that was effective in blocking lethal Striker AR shots. Looking at the clip, players called out the item for being indestructible and claimed they were done fooling around with it. One such player said, “I’ve yet to get someone else’s shield to stagger even when spraying the hell out of them. I’ve had mine stagger only twice. Ever. I don’t know if it requires shooting a certain area necessarily, but I can definitely say it doesn’t seem to be working as intended. And if it’s ‘currently working as intended’, I have little faith in Epic.” Another chimed in, “Ballistic shield sponging like 14 bullets from a gold AR. This thing is so dumb lmao.” A third user added, “Won three games in a row just spamming shield with an insane 1v3 endgame clutch I shouldn’t have gotten away with. The only time I’ve died is to clingers.” If you’re struggling while trying to counter a Ballistic Shield, check out our guide on how to break it right here at Dexerto.

Fortnite players are still finding the vaulted Infinity Blade in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite players are still finding the vaulted Infinity Blade in-game Despite Epic Games issuing a public apology and saying that the Infinity Blade had been vaulted from Fortnite, some players are still finding the sword. Clips of the Infinity Blade have surfaced online and players were shocked to see the Infinity Blade back in action after its removal from the game on December 14. Footage seems to show players not only wielding the sword, but taking out their opponents with it as well as if it is still an active weapon. One player, T4K_RoNaL, even decided to take matters into his own hands and tossed it into the storm, before selecting the crying animation to seal a funny moment. Read More: Fortnite: Ninja criticizes Epic Games for adding planes and Infinity Blade to Winter Royale – The Blade, which was added to the game with the v7.01 patch, had come under immense scrutiny and even an official tweet from Fortnite confirmed that the sword was “overpowered” and there were not enough counters for it towards the end of each game. For a sword that is not even supposed to be in the game anymore, it’s still wreaking havoc judging by this footage. Heya folks, We messed up and rolled out the Infinity Blade overpowered / without good counters, especially in the end game. The Infinity Blade has been Vaulted and we are re-evaluating our approach to Mythic items. Thanks for calling us out on this! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 14, 2018 It was a particularly controversial talking point during the highly anticipated Winter Royale tournament, as many streamers and pro players spoke out against the addition of new features just before the start of the competitive event. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins said: “We qualified for this when Risky [Reels] was still in it, obviously the snow map, that’s understandable, they’re not going to delay a whole Season for this tournament. “To add the sword and to have these planes, in this tournament, it’s just not what I qualified for.” There is still no official word on the Infinity Blade re-appearing in the game, but if it keeps popping up, we would expect a response from Epic in the near future.

Fortnite players are really fed up of campers ruining Oracle’s Snapshot Quests – Dexerto
Fortnite players are really fed up of campers ruining Oracle’s Snapshot Quests Epic GamesSome Fortnite players are convinced that the true challenge of the Oracle’s Snapshot Quests are actually dealing with sweaty players in the process. Fortnite has many ways players can rely on for leveling up. Whether it’s completing weekly challenges, match quests, kickstart quests, or survivor medals, there’s always something players can complete during their day to get that sweet extra Battle Star. The Greek Mythology-inspired theme for Chapter 5, Season 2 has introduced players to a set of new challenges called Oracle’s Snapshot quests. Many of these challenges require players to go to certain POIs and do different activities out in the open. Knowing that, it goes without saying that the experience isn’t always smooth in the Battle Royale. As some players have pointed out in a Reddit thread, many feel that they are too frustrating to complete due to sweaty players killing them in the process. It all started with one player urging others to leave those attempting to complete the challenges alone. Most players seemed to agree, with many confirming a similar experience when doing these challenges. One player claimed it took them 15 games to actually finish the Ares quest, as they either kept getting killed by another player or eliminated the second the boss showed up. “Cerberus was a nightmare cause of the same damn problem,” they said. “Like 3 people started gunning me down when I did the agility. I swear the real quest isn’t completing the challenges; it’s dealing with the players while you complete them.” Meanwhile, another wrote: “I went straight for the agility quest, dropped on it, got one weapon and started running, and some kid instantly pumped me in the head.” “Yes! This aggravates me to no end,” another player agreed. “I’m trying to do the medallion quest now, and other people are shooting the NPC along with me, they run and grab the medallion and take off like a bat out of hell. Ughhh.” However, some others argued that these are bound to happen due to the Battle Royale nature of Fortnite. Of course, these quests are not mandatory, but completing them does give a huge chunk of XP, so it’s worth trying them out when it looks safe.

Fortnite players are not happy with storm change that just kills you instantly – Dexerto
Fortnite players are not happy with storm change that just kills you instantly Epic GamesFortnite players are unhappy with changes to the storm mechanics in Fortnite Reload that speed up Storm Sickness and cause instant elimination. The storm is a key feature that drives gameplay. It’s a threat that chips away at your health and forces you to move towards the center of the map. In Reload mode, players are used to the storm gradually shrinking, giving them time to strategize and stay within the Safe Zone. But things have taken a dramatic turn with the latest patch. On August 27, Fortnite announced a new patch for Reload that includes loot changes and adjustments to the Storm Circles. Storm Sickness now activates much faster, which means players have less time to find safety. The developers said they will “continue to monitor Storm Circles in Reload and ensure that things remain fun and action-packed.” However, players are not pleased with this update. One player noted on Reddit, “It’s kinda annoying that you just straight up die. You don’t even have a timer, so you can’t know how much time you can stay in storm.” Another pointed out, “It doesn’t go away. So if you touch the storm for a second, even at 100 health, you instantly die.” Some players think the change goes too far. “I get preventing heal offs, but that’s a bit extreme,” one said. “Something like a fifteen tick, or twenty tick is a little tamer if you want to go for extreme, but still let players access the storm for a few seconds.” A “healoff” strategy is when players camp in the storm, chugging health kits to outlast opponents in the endgame. Epic Games enforced this insta-kill Storm Sickness to send a clear message: sitting outside the storm with a backpack full of med-kits isn’t how they want the game played. However, players have made it clear they find the dev’s solution excessive. Despite the storm changes, Reload mode remains popular. It’s the preferred mode of Fortnite streamer Ninja, who called the current chapter “for losers.” If you’re curious about all the changes in Reload, check out the full patch notes for more details.

Fortnite players are quitting Ranked already due to one major issue – Dexerto
Fortnite players are quitting Ranked already due to one major issue Epic GamesFortnite entered the ring with other battle royales such as Apex Legends and Warzone by introducing a Ranked mode. However, players are already abandoning ranked in favor of normal matches. It’s become common practice for battle royales to introduce ranked game modes. Respawn completely overhauled Apex Legends Ranked in May by improving matchmaking and removing splits. During the same month, Warzone 2 released its own competitive game mode. Giving players something to play for and work toward is a great way to incentivize more playtime. But that doesn’t mean it works for every game. Despite introducing Ranked Play, Warzone 2 player count numbers have plummeted. Warzone’s dip doesn’t all fall on the shoulders of Ranked Play, but Fortnite is also experiencing growing pains with its competitive mode. Fortnite players slam long Ranked queue times Epic Games asked players on Twitter what their ranks are after the mode’s first two weeks in action. Instead of sharing their rank, community members complained about the mode being ruined by long wait times for matches. 100 Thieves Co-Owner Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop responded: “Unfortunately like many people have said, we’ve all stopped playing due to long queue times.” CouRage suggested that the mode being on one server would help, but his suggestion was met with pushback. Players argued that matches would feel terrible playing with high ping against users from other regions. And some argued that building would be nearly impossible with a poor server connection. The streamer wasn’t alone in his struggles, however. A second player added: “Stopped playing cause it takes too long to get matches.” Fortnite streamer FaZe Replays also claimed: “I’ve been struggling to get into games ever since about a week now.” Replays believes that the long queue times may be a glitch, and he urged the developers to look into the issue.

Fortnite players are loving Reload mode but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Fortnite players are loving Reload mode but there’s a catch Epic GamesFortnite’s all-new Reload mode is finally here, and while it’s a welcome addition, this particular issue is keeping some players from fully enjoying it. After the reveal of a brief teaser and trailer featuring Kai Cenat, Sketch, Duke & more, the Fortnite Reload game mode has finally arrived in Chapter 5, Season 3. Bringing back some of the OG POIs like Tilted Towers and Retail Row, this mode lets you jump into a fast-paced match against other squads. The highlight of this mode is that, aside from being able to get your hands on some of the OG weapons, the reboot mechanic has been tweaked. Unlike Battle Royale and Zero Build, players can be rebooted without having to collect their Reboot Cards and using a Reboot Van. And so far, it’s clear that many are enjoying the OG experience all over again – seeing that Fortnite Reload managed to surpass other game modes in terms of concurrent players. That said, despite the thrill and excitement that this mode brings, some players have pointed out one major issue with it in a Reddit thread. “It’s good but why on earth there’s full squads of purple skull troopers and superhero skins doing quad edits in it I have no clue, don’t even get people like that in ranked,” mentioned one player, referring to sweats who have been known to use superhero skins. “I wish it had SBMM because I have zero chance in every fight,” another user chimed in. Other players also agreed that while the mode is a welcome addition to Fortnite, sweats have been ruining the experience for them, mostly due to the lack of SBMM or skill-based matchmaking. Another user wrote: “It’s a f****ing sweatfest and it just feels like Epic has thrown out skill-based matchmaking because holy f****ing s****.” Regarding this issue, one user argued that it is to be expected, given that Fortnite Reload is a “fast-paced mode,” hence it will attract “the sweatiest players.” They added, “It’s always like that on every competitive game releasing a mode like that, sad reality.” Overall, the experience of going against sweats will always be there no matter which mode you’re playing in Fortnite, but some players are noticing them more in the all-new game mode.

Fortnite players are convinced Epic has a “kink for really bad UI” – Dexerto
Fortnite players are convinced Epic has a “kink for really bad UI” FortniteFortnite’s UI changes implemented in update 30.30 have sparked an uproar among players, who accuse Epic Games of having a “kink for really bad UI.” The Fortnite community voiced their disdain for the UI changes introduced in Chapter 5 Season 3. Players criticized the redesigned Locker, which separates outfits, wraps, emotes, and lobby music into different tabs, making managing and creating loadouts cumbersome. Plus, the persistent yellow notification dots, which you can’t remove automatically, have become a constant annoyance. Update 30.30, introduced on July 23, brought the Tesla Cybertruck and Fall Guys to Fortnite. But a group of Fortnite players didn’t waste time grinding XP for Elon Musk’s ride. While they were at it, they came across a UI change altering the Mantle button’s color to white. This detail didn’t escape criticism, with players puzzled by the purpose behind these seemingly arbitrary tweaks. On a Reddit thread dedicated exclusively to picking this white UI button apart, player reactions have been harsh and unfiltered. One disgruntled user lamented, “I just don’t understand the purpose of these little changes. There was nothing wrong with the old one, and it was a UI that was universally liked.” Another quipped, “I swear the first job they give interns is to change something in the UI just for the hell of it,” reflecting the sentiment that these updates are unnecessary. Amidst the backlash, some players speculated that the UI department is simply making changes to justify their existence. They also pointed to a broader industry trend towards minimalist, flat designs that often bewilders fans of the classic Fortnite UI design. Despite the UI debacle, Chapter 5 brought significant gameplay changes to Fortnite, including a new Weapon mod system. It also emphasized vehicle gameplay, although not all players, including prominent streamer Ninja, are fans.

Fortnite players are desperate for more DBZ skins after the current collab – Dexerto
Fortnite players are desperate for more DBZ skins after the current collab Epic GamesDBZ is no stranger to Fortnite, after three successful collabs with the legendary anime. Safe to say fans want more, with players dropping what they’d like to see in possible collabs. Epic Games’ collaboration efforts to bring popular media to Fortnite have been quite the spectacle. Boot up Fortnite, and nearly every iconic video game character, celebrity, or anime character is in-game. To date, DBZ’s been part of the game’s collaboration bread and butter, with three collaborations introducing various characters from the anime. The latest drop included Perfect Cell and Frieza joining the likes of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and many more. However, fans have demanded more, and with that said, players have started cooking up who they’d like to see if Fortnite and DBZ collab again. Fortnite players share their wishlist for future DBZ skins In a Reddit thread shared on the official Fortnite page, DaimaoOfTheGreen shared a concept for what they’d like to see from a fourth drop. “This gotta be next for the DBZ collab,” they said with an image of Android 17 and 18 as well as Trunks. They added: “Hopefully we would get a Z saga and Super style for each of these 3 characters.” This wishlist struck well with fans as a few commented how quickly they’d purchase Trunks. “I’d snag that DBZ-era Trunks in a heartbeat,” one said. Another replied: “I haven’t really enjoyed Dragon Ball Z since middle school, but if they released Trunks, I would probably pull the trigger.” Others shared their dream collabs with Buu and his various forms after absorbing nearly half of the DBZ roster during his reign of terror a crowd favorite. Another crowd favorite was Broly, although players quickly pointed out that both characters could be a problem due to how big their character models are. With the staggering amount of standouts in DBZ, chances are Fortnite will continue to find ways to bring them over.

Fortnite players are complaining about “too many” bots in lobbies – Dexerto
Fortnite players are complaining about “too many” bots in lobbies Epic GamesFortnite players and content creators have started complaining about the number of bots in unranked lobbies. Fortnite turning back the clock to the original days of the game was a massive success. Millions of people returned to the game and broke a record of over 44 million players in a single day. Despite its success, Season OG marks the shortest season in Fortnite history. The event started on November 3 and will conclude on December 2 when a meteor will strike the map. The OG season also brought back popular streamers to the game, including familiar faces like Dr Disrepect, TimTheTatman, and Tfue. However, it was CourageJD that started the conversation surrounding the number of bots. Fortnite bots have taken over lobbies Unlike other multiplayer games like Call of Duty and Warzone, unranked Fortnite doesn’t have skill-based matchmaking. This leads to more bots in lobbies, but players wonder how many get into every lobby. “My biggest takeaway after talking to many returning Fortnite OG players during this last month is that many of them hated how many bot lobbies they had,” said Courage on Twitter/X. “With 5.5 million concurrent players, it just doesn’t make sense that so many AI are in lobbies. Anyone else agree?” Other content creators agreed with Courage in the post’s comment section. Some said they went several hours without being “hit by a bullet,” while others pointed out that having bots may not be such a bad idea. “I would rather AI lobbies so I can continue to play with the friends I used to play with rather than a lobby of 100 people who never stopped playing,” said one user. “It’s a skill issue, but it makes them come back. I get it’s different when it’s your job vs casual play though.” Bots or SBMM, it seems like players have not found a solution to make multiplayer games enjoyable. Epic Games have not addressed the number of bots currently in Fortnite, but the issue could be updated in the upcoming season.

Fortnite Players Are Already Doing Incredible Things With the Grappler – Clips of the New Item In Action – Dexerto
Fortnite Players Are Already Doing Incredible Things With the Grappler – Clips of the New Item In Action The highly anticipated new Grappler has officially gone live in Fortnite Battle Royale and players are already beginning to put it through its paces. The new item comes with the description “Make a daring escape or get into the action quickly! This new item attaches to anything you hit for quick traversal.” With a total of 15 charges, the Grappler is only available in epic variants and looks like the perfect tool to help players get out of situations where they are stuck with the low ground. If you haven’t had the chance to get your hands on the Grappler yet, we’ve compiled a variety of clips from players and content creators that have been putting it through its paces! First and foremost, a clip that has already taken Reddit. Shared by iBolts, the video shows a player using the Grappler to hit one of the best basketball trick shots you’ll ever see: If you’re wondering what the capabilities of the Grappler are, Fickle_Platypus has shared a clip that shows it being used repeatedly on a Guided Missile! We’re not joking: Beware though, you can still take fall damage if you latch onto something that is underneath you or fall from any significant height. We’re not certain if it’s an intentional feature, but DrLupo certainly didn’t seem to be impressed when he was killed by the smallest amount of downward momentum: The Twitch star did manage to get the hang of the new item eventually, though. Below you can see him styling on an opponent during an intense battle and using the Grappler to close the distance in milliseconds: So far, the Grappler seems to be a big hit with players but it could prove to be overpowered in the hands of skilled players as it offers so many benefits in the movement department. One suggestion that has already surfaced is that the Grappler should have less than 15 shots to begin with, but the chances of finding one with any charges left in the late game are already going to be slim.

Fortnite players angry with game-breaking “ghost hitmarkers” – Dexerto
Fortnite players angry with game-breaking “ghost hitmarkers” Epic Games / pixabayFortnite players are once again upset by the popular battle royale title, heading to Reddit to complain about an apparent increase in the number of shots that are connecting with opponents, but dealing no damage. Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, and with Season 10 drawing to a conclusion, many players are hopping into the Battle Bus in search of some final Victory Royales before the big Season 11 update, which is scheduled for the week beginning October 14. Many who have jumped into the game are reporting issues though, complaining that they receive hitmarkers for landing bullets accurately on an opponent, but that they aren’t dealing any damage, while others state that on occasion their weapons just refuse to fire. In a Reddit post on October 8, user TheAaronLad stated that he had seen a “major increase in blank shots on all guns,” asking if he was alone in this, and stating that he had hit an opponent with 10 bullets using an Assault Rifle and only two did damage, while a similar situation happened with an Infantry Rifle. “My ping was on 25 or lower both times,” he complained. “It’s happened countless times since I’ve been playing in the last day.” While TheAaronLad was concerned that he was the only one affected by this issue, many other players used his post to share their experience, with many claiming that the problem is worse than ever. One player stated: “(I have) 10 ping and I get constant blanks with (the Pump Shotgun) and Assault Rifle. This last week has been worse than I’ve ever seen it.” “Last couple of days, everyone in our squad is seeing ghost shots,” wrote another. “I thought I hit someone, got no damage. I try to trust the game but I had spectators who all swore I hit them square in the face.” User SS-750 felt the same, writing: “Happening here too. Lasering people with the Infantry Rifle and not getting hits. Also happening with all ARs, but it’s harder to know for sure with the bloom. I’m honest with my aim though, and it is 100% different than what it has been.” While the problems seem to be widespread, Epic Games have yet to address them officially or reveal a timeframe for a possible fix. Most likely, players will have to wait for the Season 11 patch next week before any changes are made, as there are no other updates scheduled between now and the new season kick-off.

Fortnite players already sick of ‘ridiculous’ Port-a-Fortress spawn rate – Dexerto
Fortnite players already sick of ‘ridiculous’ Port-a-Fortress spawn rate Twitter: joesantello24Some Fortnite players feel Port-a-Fortresses have gotten out of control in OG thanks to their high spawn rate around the map. Fortnite OG has been a saving grace for the franchise since its release on November 3. The mode brought back player numbers that hadn’t been seen since the early days of its release. It also broke a record for Fortnite by bringing over 44 million people to its servers on the second day. Not only did Fortnite OG bring back some of its original landing locations, but it is also slowly adding some of the game’s most popular items. Chug Jugs, Grapplers and Stink Bombs can be found all over the map, but one legendary item seems too easy to find. Players are now complaining about the spawn rate of Port-a-Fortresses. Fortnite Port-a-Fortresses deemed ‘too common’ One Reddit post brought up the issue surrounding the rarity of Port-a-Fortresses in the game. These items, marked as legendary, can seemingly be found in most locations regardless of rarity. “Did Epic forget these are supposed to be the rarest rarity in the game or something,” asked one Reddit user. “Because there’s so many! Every major location after the initial fighting has like 3 or 4 of them popped up, I’ll probably find 2 or 3 of the item myself every game. It’s crazy!” Other commentators beneath the post made jokes regarding the frequency of drops, with some claiming that they have begun ‘throwing them at friends’ instead of carrying them for later in the game. Fortnite has addressed issues regarding spawn rates in the past regarding shield potions. However, they have not responded to the issues surrounding legendary items.

Fortnite Players Already Think the Compact SMG Is Too Powerful as First Footage Surfaces – Dexerto
Fortnite Players Already Think the Compact SMG Is Too Powerful as First Footage Surfaces Fortnite’s brand new Compact SMG, which looks a great deal like a P90, was added to the game on July 24 as part of the V5.10 patch. Available in Epic and Legendary variants, the Compact SMG was expected to be extremely powerful and the first footage of it in action seems to confirm those suspicions. Shaun ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson took to Twitter soon after the update went live, saying “Yeah so Fortnite’s new Compact SMG is absurrrrrdly melty. Me likey.” The Tweet is accompanied by a two minute video of the powerful new weapon in action and, yes, it really does “melt”. Yeah so Fortnite’s new Compact SMG is absurrrrrdly melty. Me likey. pic.twitter.com/y2mW8G7AuK — Hutch (@z0mgItsHutch) July 24, 2018 The fire rate of the Compact SMG is incredibly fast and it seems to be very difficult to counter, especially against bases, even for players that are building and creating cover at a relatively high level. One clip from 100 Thieves’ Kenith has already started to make the rounds online, showing the professional player doubling up with the new gun to destroy opponents while saying “I actually want to cry at the state of the game”. The initial reaction to the Compact SMG from the Fortnite community seems to suggest that the majority of players think it is overpowered. Comments on the /r/FortniteBR subreddit have ranged from “questioning what epic are smoking to add this shit and nerf building” to “this is so overpowered it is quite sad”. While others have argued that this is what people wanted when the game’s meta heavily relied on shotguns, nobody seems to be disagreeing with the idea that the Compact SMG is incredibly strong. The issue for most people seems to be just how powerful the new toy is against bases and building, but there are still numerous complaints about the time to kill. As is always the case with a new update, it will take some time for people to become accustomed to playing with, and against, the Compact SMG. However, if the initial reactions are anything to go by, we could see a nerf being implemented sooner rather than later.

Fortnite players agree this “essential” mobility tool is key to victory – Dexerto
Fortnite players agree this “essential” mobility tool is key to victory FortniteFortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 3 is a season dominated by unlikely weapons, and now players claim you can’t win without a certain mobility tool. In Chapter 5 Season 3, Fortnite’s weaponry landscape features several powerful options. You could pick the Combat Shotgun for close to medium-range combat or the Heavy Impact Sniper for long range precision. Alternatively, you could grab some explosives and use them to blow players’ cars up. But, according to a frustrated group of players on Reddit, your arsenal is rendered useless by one single weapon. Players agree that Nitro Fists are the key to winning games. In fact, the owner of the post goes as far as saying “even if you don’t have them, your opponent will and they’ll just run away.” Nitro Fists are a mobility and offensive tool introduced this season. With them, you can punch and slam enemies, or propel yourself into the air and escape danger. This duality has become a controversial game-changer. Previous seasons had mobility tools like the Grapple Blade, but their offensive power wasn’t as strong. In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, many assert that without Nitro Fists, victory is nearly impossible. Players have noted a rise in opponents using these fists to evade combat and frustrate attackers. One player noted their frustration: “I had a guy yesterday engage a fight with me. I managed to crack his shield but he just nitro fist’d away.” Another player summed up their frustration, saying, “People try to ambush you, you damage them, they nitro and fist away off into the horizon.” As the Chapter 5 Season 3 nears its mid-August end, Fortnite’s player count has been lower than usual in Battle Royale mode. While Nitro Fists might be the latest craze, their impact reflects broader challenges within the game’s current “stale” meta. The season’s close could bring changes that either address or amplify these mobility issues.

Fortnite Player With Unreleased Emote and Pickaxe Seen in Pregame Lobby – Dexerto
Fortnite Player With Unreleased Emote and Pickaxe Seen in Pregame Lobby Season 4 of Fortnite: Battle Royale went live early on May 1st after weeks of the insane hype and anticipation that was built towards its launch. It seemed as if the entirety of the online gaming community was discussing the new Fortnite season, going to show how much of a phenomenon the popular BR game has become. A major reason why the game has become so popular is that developer Epic Games has consistently added new content to the game, including outfit skins, pickaxes, back blings, and emotes. Season 4 has already proven to feature loads of new in-game content and cosmetic items that are sure to make Fortnite an enormous profit throughout the ten week period. Read More: Fortnite Announce Their ‘Replay Royale’ Contest Winners – Final Placements and Winning Entries – However, it appears that some players have access to content that has not yet been released and never seen before. Reddit user ‘Joshua51423’ posted a video that features a player in the pregame island of Fortnite that had an unreleased dance emote and pickaxe. The dance appears to be the ‘Freestylin’ emote that was leaked as one that was coming to Fortnite in the near future. The Pickaxe seems to be the one called ‘Tenderizer,’ also one of the cosmetic items that was leaked but not yet officially released. While the identity of the player is not known, it would appear that he is an employee or game developer from Epic Games, as they would most likely have access to content and items that have not yet been released.

Fortnite players abandon OG map remakes in Creative 2.0 due to bugs – Dexerto
Fortnite players abandon OG map remakes in Creative 2.0 due to bugs Epic GamesRemakes of the OG Fortnite Chapter 1 maps were highly-anticipated before the introduction of Creative 2.0, also known as Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). However, now that the remakes have been released, players are leaving them because of the continuous issues and lag they experience. One of the major contributions to Fortnite’s constantly growing metaverse was the launch of Creative 2.0. Both players and mapmakers were psyched about the potential for combining Unreal Engine’s capabilities and unique assets to create islands that look and feel incredibly realistic in-game. Since many players long for Fortnite’s simpler Chapter 1 days, the return of those islands to the game was a big deal. Several well-known map creators had pumped up the community by announcing that they would be recreating the OG Fortnite island soon after the release. When the remakes finally hit the game, however, gamers were left immensely dissatisfied because of the unending bugs and latency that plagued the creator-made UEFN experiences. Creative 2.0 maps fail to capture the magic of OG Fortnite The OG Fortnite player base was ecstatic for UEFN to release since two remakes were revealed that would provide players a nostalgic experience by having them relive the Chapter 1 island. But when the maps were released, players were confronted with lag throughout the game, glitches in mobility, and an experience so unsatisfactory that their player counts plummeted. Players’ opinions on UEFN-created remake maps have been widely shared since then. An individual on Reddit shared an image of the two Original Game remake maps alongside a comment reading, “OG Map will save Fortnite”, before adding a sarcastic remark about the extremely low player population in these islands. After seeing the post, a veteran Fortnite player wrote, “It doesn’t have the old mechanics. Before building got a million buffs and there wasn’t damage drop off. It also doesn’t have the old loot pool. Old Fortnite is way more than just the map.” This is a valid point; Fortnite’s gameplay and loot have undergone significant changes since the game’s inception, and it would be impossible to revert to the game’s Chapter 1 era even if the game were rebuilt from scratch in Creative 2.0. Not everyone was so critical of the maps, though. One player elaborated on the idea that the Creative 2.0 maps needed to “save” Fortnite by saying: “The game feels fine to me. I love all the new content, but people keep complaining that it needs to be saved.” Fortnite is known for its frequent updates that add new content and features to the Battle Royale island. Just recently, the devs added another Star Wars crossover to the game featuring new characters and weapons.

Fortnite player with five-figure V-Bucks debt leaves everyone perplexed – Dexerto
Fortnite player with five-figure V-Bucks debt leaves everyone perplexed Fortnite/DexertoOne Fortnite player has managed to leave the community stunned after sharing an image of their account having a five-figure V-Bucks debt. Fortnite takes its code of conduct seriously to provide players with a safe and fun environment. Break the rules enough and you might even find your account banned for 2 million days, as one player has experienced. Though aside from being banned for inappropriate actions or social offenses, you can also risk your account getting into V-Bucks debt. This typically happens when a player uses certain exploits and stolen credit cards to obtain cosmetics. While seeing minus V-Bucks isn’t new, one user has somehow managed to surpass over 33k V-Bucks debt in their account, leaving the community stunned. Titled “What is this?”, they shared an image of them having precisely negative 33,150 V-Bucks in a Reddit thread. Though they didn’t elaborate on what exactly they did to get such a massive amount of debt, many other players quickly jumped in the comments to blast their actions, with some claiming the end result was deserved. “Going into debt on Fortnite is wild,” commented one user. Another one mentioned: “It’s Epic Games punishing you for trying to cheat the system.” Some players also theorized that the user likely used their parents’ credit card and got caught. The transaction was then refunded, which led to their account’s current situation. “No more battle pass for you until you pay the piper,” joked one user, to which another replied, “or get it gifted to you, for a higher price, though.” Meanwhile, some players couldn’t help but poke fun at the situation, saying, “Bro didn’t thank the bus driver.” Though a different user argued that he’d have to thank the bus driver “for a few seasons to get out of the hole he is in.” “Hope you learned your lesson,” one chimed in. So, in the end, it’s always ideal to purchase skins or V-Bucks legally, especially if your account already has some rare skins that won’t be returning to the game.

Fortnite player turns into Spider-Man with clever mantling trick – Dexerto
Fortnite player turns into Spider-Man with clever mantling trick Epic GamesFortnite’s mantling system gives players the perfect opportunity to gain high ground quickly by building walls just like Spider-Man. Chapter 5 introduced Fortnite’s new mantling system that allows players to easily climb over walls and hop through windows. While Zero Build players may miss out on all the advantages of building, those who play the traditional version can utilize this handy mechanic. When building walls on top of each other, the player is then able to grab onto the top of each wall. This is similar to the wall bumpouts that can be found at Snooty Steps. As demonstrated in a Reddit video, the player builds directly up and then uses the walls to quickly get the high ground. A technique that is much faster than building up the traditional way. Not everyone was certain that this plan would work, however. Considering that building straight up is not always possible in certain situations. “This will work on anyone except T1 pros/cheaters since they’ll get confused how you’re building straight up” explained one reply. Others were convinced that while it may not be the best for battle, it is a great way to get starts on sky bases. Something essential when playing Midas’ Floor is Lava game mode. “This is a cool tactic but it’s extremely weak, can easily be shot down and I don’t really see a use for it, especially with how much effort is required to stay on the wall. Could be a good strategy to try for sky-basing up in Floor is Lava though” said another commenter. For the ultimate upscale ability, players can climb to new heights and overtake their opponents. But be mindful when using this method as the enemy could shoot down the base wall and ruin the structure.

Fortnite player uses in-game piano to recreate iconic tune of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” – Dexerto
Fortnite player uses in-game piano to recreate iconic tune of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” Epic GamesDespite being one of the most popular online games in recent memory, Fortnite has also proven to be a hub for creativity as well. The latest example of these is the two sets of piano keys located near Pleasant Park and Retail Row respectively, both of which work the same as a real piano. While many have experimented with making tunes using these in-game pianos, one player has actually replicated the intro to one of the most popular songs in history. Reddit user ‘handsomehawke‘ has posted a video of him playing the beginning of “Don’t Stop Believin’” by American rock band Journey. With over 7 million copies sold in the United States, the song is officially listed as the best-selling digital track from the 20th century. The overall effect of the video above is quite remarkable, and it is outstanding the way the player managed to cut it all together to achieve the iconic tune. With how large the piano keys are compared to the size of the in-game character, it’s clear that completing this project was the product of a lot of time and concentration. “I would do it, but this super simple song took me 2 hours to make,” the user wrote on Reddit. This was in reply to someone who requested a remake of the theme song of the popular TV show ‘The Office.’ In fact, the comments section was quickly full of people either requesting songs to be recreated using the Fortnite piano or finding inspiration to try to complete similar projects themselves.

Fortnite player desperately tried to save Flush Factory before it was cut from game – Dexerto
Fortnite player desperately tried to save Flush Factory before it was cut from game Just before the snow and the ice crashed into the world of Fortnite Battle Royale for Season 7, one player tried to save their favorite destination from the iceberg. Flush Factory, which has been a location on the game’s map since the very first season, has now been replaced by Happy Hamlet. The factory would regularly be seen completely destroyed by gamers for materials, but is now no longer available on the map. The other destinations cut from this new season are Greasy Grove and Viking Village, making way for the incoming Frosty Flights and Polar Peak. But, despite those incoming changes, u/Smithstirini had other ideas. With news breaking that one of their favorite locations was soon going to be destroyed and smashed into by a huge iceberg, Smithstirini built a huge dome around Flush Factory in an attempt to protect it. He posted his project to Reddit on December 6, which will have been deemed unsuccessful when the player downloaded the new Fortnite v7.00 patch. It was not only locations which were removed from the game as a result of the new Season 7 update, though, as six items have also been vaulted. Many ew features have been added to the game as well, with the addition of a brand new X-4 Stormwind fighter jet and several ziplines changing the complexion of Battle Royale mode. Many players have been left impressed with the new content too, sharing their exciting dogfight and zipline clips on social media since the patch went live on December 6.

Fortnite player trolled trying to complete Week 8 Dive! challenges – Dexerto
Fortnite player trolled trying to complete Week 8 Dive! challenges A Fortnite Battle Royale player has shared his unfortunate death while trying to complete some of the Week 8 Dive! challenges, warning other players looking to fill out their Battle Pass. The Mission set for week eight of Fortnite Chapter 2 revolves around the water, with players asked to dive around the map to complete their weekly challenges. These challenges give players tons of XP and Battle Stars to help rank up their Battle Passes and unlock new cosmetic items to equip in game. However, players trying to complete challenges this week have to be wary of some trolls on the loose, as one player demonstrated. In a video uploaded to Reddit by ‘EastonBryksa’ on November 28, they shared a warning for other players looking to complete their missions — especially the Time Trials at Lazy Lake. As he was dancing around the stream, going from checkpoint to checkpoint, EastonBryksa hit the waterfall at Gorgeous Gorge. However, instead of plummeting into the stream below, he hit a solid wall of wood with others building around the lake. This led to the player’s death without completing the mission, forcing EastonBryksa to load into game again and try to not get found out by trolls. The mission players have to complete for their Battle Pass is the “Complete the swimming time trials at Lazy Lake and East of Hydro 16,” making players use some of the new mechanics in Fortnite Chapter 2. However, some people like in EastonBryksa’s game have exploited this by building across the Gorgeous Gorge in a way that’s impossible to dodge. Read more: How to unlock Fortnite Falling Leaf Wrap – Players can circumvent this by buying Battle Tiers, but some feel like doing that is just a way of cheating the system and would rather complete the missions themselves. Since Fortnite Chapter 2 came out with the new map, players have been building across rivers to troll players at waterfalls. However, this is the first time it’s directly affected some of the game’s missions. So, if you are looking at undertaking some of this week’s Dive! missions, you might need to look twice before jumping into the deep end at Gorgeous Gorge, or you could be hitting rock bottom.

Fortnite player “tortures” their opponent with the harshest musical treat – Dexerto
Fortnite player “tortures” their opponent with the harshest musical treat Epic GamesA Fortnite player is going viral for knocking down an opponent and using a popular alt-rock band to torture them before finishing them off. Fortnite fans are finding a lot of enjoyment in a viral clip, which is spreading around Twitter/X at the moment. The short video shows a player downing their opponent and then toying with them before they put them down for good. Their form of torture, specifically, is to emote on them while playing a popular song from Weezer. Fortnite player uses Weezer to play with their downed opponent The clip is not a long one, but it is giving many fans a good laugh. After downing their opponent, the recording player, rocking a shirtless Goku skin, begins to dance over them, all while the sound of Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” plays. Once the loop ends, the player then finishes their opponent off mercilessly. The caption for the post is a rather critical one, saying: “Knocking someone then forcing them to listen to Weezer might be the harshest form of torture ever.” The post has sparked a plethora of memes in the comments, with one of the top ones being a recreation of the cover for Weezer’s Blue Album, but with various images of Goku in place of the band. Others are more confused by the caption, with a user asking, “What’s wrong with Weezer?” While it’s not clear whether or not the original poster truly has anything against Weezer, the clip itself is funny enough to be making the rounds on Fortnite social media despite the apparent dig at the band.

Fortnite player suggests creative way to block sweaty skins – Dexerto
Fortnite player suggests creative way to block sweaty skins Epic GamesA Fortnite player has proposed a concept that would enable players to hide certain skins, similar to what the game did with emotes. Fortnite recently introduced an option that allows players to block “confrontational” emotes from view through a specific setting. This recent addition has inspired the idea of allowing players to block certain skins from being viewed. The original Reddit post took the same concept from blocking the emotes, except it added the option to block the superhero skins instead of emotes specifically. These superhero skins have plagued Fortnite for several seasons and are considered one of the “sweatier” skins in the game. “If someone’s wearing cool color combinations I dig it but the ones who only wear black /gray are the worst lol.” said one commenter. Most players utilize the customizable feature of superhero skins to fully black them out, which allegedly reduces the hitbox size. Epic Games has denied claims that any skin possesses a smaller hitbox than others, asserting that regardless of visual appearance, all skins maintain the same hitbox size. Fortnite was called “soft” for their decision to block these emotes, but it seems like some of the community would be happy to see something similar brought to these “sweaty” skins. One commenter pointed out that blocking the skins would be pointless, but this point was challenged with the fact that Fortnite is already blocking certain skins from view that are considered not “age appropriate” for some maps. Though the concept of blocking certain skins is currently improbable, the adjustments Fortnite is implementing with the game and its age settings could pave the way for a similar concept to become plausible in the future.

Fortnite Player Takes Advantage of the Rocket Launch Party to Set a New Solo Kills World Record – Dexerto
Fortnite Player Takes Advantage of the Rocket Launch Party to Set a New Solo Kills World Record A new record for single game kills in Fortnite has been set at 48, but it did not happen the way you might expect. It was not Ninja or Myth with a brilliant display of marksmanship to set the record, rather it was a random person who happened to take advantage of unsuspecting players during the rocket launch viewing party. The rocket launch in Fortnite was a highly anticipated event, due to its potential to change the map significantly. The launch took place from the Evil Lair near Snobby Shores at 1:30 PM EST. For the most part, players watched side by side in a truce for the opportunity to catch the one time launch. A massive platform was even constructed near Snobby Shores for those that wanted an up close look at the spectacle. One player did not get the truce memo, however, and now they stand alone with the single game solo kills record. Elemental_Ray played smart instead of hard, knocking out the viewing platform that 48 players were standing on, eliminating all of them by way of fall damage. No one is sure if Elemental_Ray was planning to ruin the party with the 3000 IQ play all along, or if they are simply a kid that didn’t know an event was about to happen. One thing is certain, pro Fortnite players will have a very hard time beating the new solo kills record and at least 48 people did not get a good look at the rocket launch. Check out the clip below to see the new record. Source: Reddit

Fortnite player stunned as rare Mythic Goldfish appears in Arena Mode – Dexerto
Fortnite player stunned as rare Mythic Goldfish appears in Arena Mode Epic GamesAn incredibly lucky Fortnite player has been left shocked after stumbling across a Mythic Goldfish during a match in Arena Mode. Everyone has their favorite items that they always try to find in Fortnite, whether that’s a weapon like the Tactical Shotgun and the SCAR Assault Rifle, or a throwable like the Shockwave Grenade and Clingers. But there’s one item that’s arguably more powerful than anything else in the game, and that’s the incredibly rare Mythic Goldfish. It deals a whopping 200 damage when thrown at other players, resulting in an instant kill. Pretty epic, right? As the Mythic Goldfish is so rare, the majority of Fortnite players have never come across one of them, and many don’t even know they exist. But Reddit user theminer325 managed to find one while casually fishing. Fortnite player finds rare Mythic Goldfish In a video shared on the Fortnite subreddit, theminer325 was doing a spot of fishing when they noticed something unusual on the end of their fishing line. Once they realized that it was actually a Mythic Goldfish, their reaction was priceless. Given that there’s supposedly a one in a million chance (that’s 0.0001%) of catching a Mythic Goldfish, theminer325 was understandably overjoyed to stumble upon the rare item, and quickly went about using it to their advantage. “I got the Mythic Goldfish in [an] arena game. It was so much fun using until we died,” they wrote in the Reddit post. In the video, they can be seen killing off numerous opponents in one hit with the throwable item, before ultimately being eliminated. Fortnite players in the comments were impressed, with one writing, “I still have yet to catch it, sometimes I forget that it is even a thing,” and another joking, “Knowing my luck I would die before I got to use it.” The Mythic Goldfish has kept an air of mystery surrounding it ever since it was introduced to the game back in Chapter 2 Season 1. Its appearance resembles a Trophy with a gold-colored fish sitting on top of it. There have been a series of challenges and rewards for players to earn in Fortnite for catching one. Previously, you were able to earn a Bottom Feeder pickaxe for catching a Mythic Goldfish, but that’s no longer available. We don’t know about you, but this video has inspired us to try and catch a Mythic Goldfish ourselves. Wish us luck – we’ll need it!

Fortnite player spends 6 years saving 50k V-Bucks – Dexerto
Fortnite player spends 6 years saving 50k V-Bucks Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has managed to save up a whopping 50k V-Bucks in the game, and here’s how they did it. While Fortnite occasionally gives away free skins, most of the time, you’ll need to spend V-Bucks to purchase cosmetics in the Item Shop. Aside from purchasing V-Bucks directly in the game, you can get this currency by buying into Save the World and grinding the missions in the distinct mode. You don’t usually get a lot per mission in the separate game mode. However, if you play it regularly and complete the missions often, you can save up V-Bucks in the long run. This is precisely what one user has been doing to the point they’ve managed to reach 50,070 V-Bucks, leaving the community stunned. Sharing a screenshot of their account’s V-Bucks in a Reddit thread, they said, “After years of not buying anything except battle passes, I did it. I’m a hoarder.” “I obviously have Save the World and play it frequently; I can’t remember what’s the last thing I bought in the shop, probably years ago; I did buy Jack Sparrow and a few gifs along the way tho.” When asked what the first Battle Pass they bought was, the user said it was Chapter 1, Season 3. They mentioned how they spent 10 V-Bucks to get it and then bought Save the World. Seeing that the chapter was released in 2018, it took around six years for the user to pull this off. The majority of players in the comments praised the user’s dedication for being able to go so long without spending V-Bucks on skins. Although some of them couldn’t help but feel jealous. “Dang, that’s a lot of V-bucks! PROPS for saving and not spending” commented one user. Another user commented: “My kids would go berserk if they saw this.” “Oh, how I understand you. I once managed to save up 3,000 V-bucks for myself, and that was because there was nothing interesting in the store,” a different player added. “Respect for not pulling the trigger on any items in the store.” The best thing about Save the World is that not only do you get V-Bucks from doing missions, but you can also get cosmetics from buying the pack.

Fortnite: Player spotted riding Driftboard ahead of release – Dexerto
Fortnite: Player spotted riding Driftboard ahead of release Epic GamesFortnite released its v7.10 patch on December 18 that has brought along a number of leaks, but it also seems to have included a bug that let one player get their hands on the delayed Driftboard ahead of schedule. Epic Games is gearing up to give players plenty of content before the Holiday season, but it looks like the developers forgot to close off a few things before releasing the v7.10 update. In a Twitter post, user Giuk93600505 is seen shredding up the map on the newly announced, but yet-to-be-released Driftboard that will presumably be a new item pickup to use around the map. U need to go to the main island from the creative mode and here u r! 😀 — ~Giuk (@Giuk93600505) December 18, 2018 The user even replied to a post by Epic Games on Twitter with the video showing him running amok with the unreleased feature. Guik is strolling around on the hoverboard on different terrain, but the interesting part is what happens when they perform tricks on the board. Much like the other vehicles in Fortnite, players will be able to rack up scores while on the Driftboard, giving the snowboard a classic feel reminiscent of the SSX snowboarding games. I’ve made a new gameplay whit all the things! 😀 pic.twitter.com/PMVhxjTqHo — ~Giuk (@Giuk93600505) December 18, 2018 This trick feature coincides with the recently leaked ’14 Days of Fortnite’ challenges that include racking up a certain amount of points on the Driftboard and could even point to future Driftboarding objectives down the line. The Driftboard is still planned but for a future patch but is tucked away until further notice.

Fortnite player slams “worst” change this season that nobody is discussing – Dexerto
Fortnite player slams “worst” change this season that nobody is discussing Epic GamesA Fortnite player has slammed what they believe to be the worst change introduced in Chapter 5 Season 1 after claiming that players aren’t even talking about it. Fortnite has introduced various groundbreaking additions for Chapter 5 Season 1 as part of a whole new beginning for the Battle Royale. The biggest changes were the introduction of three modes, which include the music-themed Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing and the building and survival mode of LEGO Fortnite. For the main Battle Royale game, Epic Games has made several new additions. These included a Chapter 5 map, NPC bosses, weapons and items, as well as the meta changing introduction of Medallions. However, one player has highlighted that the Large Ammo Box changes have not been talked about by fellow players and has even gone as far to claim they are the worst of them all this season. Fortnite player calls for Epic Games to fix “worse” change this season Fortnite player AppearanceLife9055 posted to Reddit: “The worst change this season that nobody has discussed,” alongside an image of the Large Ammo Box, which can be found as a floor loot container. They posed the questions: “Why do you not drop heals anymore? Who decided that big Ammo Boxes shouldn’t drop heals? Epic needs to revert this immediately.” As it gained traction, hundreds commented to debate the change of Shields and healing items, such as a Medkit or Bandages, being removed from the larger Ammo Boxes in Chapter 5. “Like fortnite really thinks they’re making the game better and more fun, but wtf is this sh*t bro, they’re making the game worse than ever before,” one replied, as many called for them to be changed back. Others instead mentioned the introduction of Medallions, which allow players to regenerate their shields and there being various Vending Machines to get healing items from, makes it a “non issue,’ and that it “balances” it out. Fortnite player shows the ideal landing location for a ‘warzone’ – Dexerto
Fortnite player shows the ideal landing location for a ‘warzone’ FortniteFortnite players have determined that Fencing Fields is the perfect drop spot for the most action. Chapter 5 of Fortnite introduced a new map for players to explore, including the addition of a train and additional landing spots inspired by the original map. Since the re-introduction of bosses scattered around the map, players have discovered that some locations are more popular than others. One of those locations includes Fencing Fields, which features the boss Valeria, who will drop a medallion and gold SMG. With its flat and wide open area, one Reddit user claims Fencing Fields is the ideal spot for players looking for an all-out blood bath. Fortnite’s Fencing Fields has the most ‘intense’ gunfights A Reddit post on the official Fortnite page opened up the discussion about what point of interest had the best fighting. The original poster circled Fencing Fields at the bottom of the map and claimed that the ‘entire lobby’ typically decides to land there regardless of bus path. “At some point during almost every match I’ve had, the entire lobby decides collectively we’re all going to fencing fields,” said the poster. “It happens every time someone sees that medallion circle. I’ve had some of my most intense gun fights there; still fun, though 10/10 would recommend.” Commenters beneath the post agreed that they too experienced high levels of activity in and around Fencing Fields. Some suggested that another great landing spot was Recklass Railways located in the middle of the map. Fencing Fields has a reputation in the community for being a ‘hot drop’ like Tilted Towers was in previous years. Multiple people underneath the thread claimed they avoided the drop spot altogether. For players looking for all the NPCs and medallion locations around the map for a similar experience, be sure to check out our guide.

Fortnite player slams Epic Games for “scamming” them over Rocket League credits – Dexerto
Fortnite player slams Epic Games for “scamming” them over Rocket League credits Epic GamesA Fortnite player has been left furious as they believe they have been “scammed” by Epic Games and their customer service after not receiving Rocket League credits from purchasing Fortnite Crew. With Fortnite and Rocket League both being developed by Epic Games, it was only natural that the racing game mode added in Chapter 5 was part of a direct collaboration. Rocket Racing was added as a typical arcade-style racing game, complete with all-new car skins in the Item Shop, which can also be transferred from Rocket League by linking your Epic accounts. Players have surged into each game since the Chapter 5 update, where Epic Games also gives players specific in-game benefits for both games by purchasing their Fortnite Crew membership. However, a Fortnite player has been left outraged after dealing with Epic Games’ customer service who told them that their rewards for purchasing Fortnite Crew in Rocket League had already been granted. Fortnite player blasts Epic Games over “scamming” them out of Rocket League credits The player Visibile-Ad1313 asked: “Epic Games just scammed me. Anyone got any advice?” As they showed a number of screenshots of them dealing with the developer’s customer service live chat. They explained: “I bought the Fortnite Crew and I was supposed to receive 1,000 credits for Rocket League, since I already owned the Rocket Pass.” After the back and forth and investigation into the player’s account, the Epic employee closed the case and ended by confirming: “we can see that the rewards have been already granted.” Fellow players flooded in to slam Epic Games for the handling of the situation: “This is typical trash customer service. They don’t know anything about their systems and can’t actually problem solve.” As the OP replied: “Yep. When I was talking with the person I could just tell they weren’t sure of what they were doing. They didn’t even bother to figure out the issue,” as others stated they were “starting to think they’re bots.” Others suggested solutions, such as asking for their manager or “when this happens just accept that the person is an idiot, Then fill out the post-tech support help survey. Someone will call you.”

Fortnite player shows how to get perfect aim assist in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite player shows how to get perfect aim assist in Chapter 5 Epic GamesA Fortnite player has revealed a method to get the perfect controller aim assist in Chapter 5. Here’s what you need to know about it. Fortnite players continuously seek new strategies, concepts, and ways to improve their game. The ultimate goal for Battle Royale players is to achieve a high number of eliminations, accumulate XP, and win the coveted Victory Royale. Although it still contains its own set of bugs, which players constantly exploit to get an advantage in the game. In Battle Royale shooting games like these, the most common exploit players use is their ability to improve their aim by employing hacks or tricks. While games like Call of Duty offer an aim assist option and other settings, Fortnite also provides aim assist to controller players in its own unique way. However, it might be difficult for each player to select the optimal configuration that would provide them with an aiming edge. However, one player has discovered the right technique to use controller aim assist perfectly in Fortnite Chapter 5. Here’s how it works. Fortnite player reveals the best controller aim assist setting for Chapter 5 An Instagram page named FortniteWinsGuide revealed a genius method of using controller aim assist that works perfectly in Chapter 5. In the video, the user explains how in the recent updates in Fortnite Chapter 5, using specific settings can increase the intensity of aim assist for controller players and snap the crosshair to the target more easily as it did in earlier seasons. To enable it, head over to your controller settings menu in Fortnite. From there, adjust the Look Dampening Time to 0.11 Seconds under the Advanced Sensitivity settings. Then, under the Quick Weapon (Beta), adjust Show Diamond Delay to 0.10 Seconds. Next, click on Copy From Legacy and choose Don’t Save. Once done, head into a Battle Royale match and equip a weapon to try out your enhanced Aim Assist settings. Upon watching the clip several players turned in their thoughts. One such player said, “This has to be a joke, controller players have dominated in aiming for years and now they get this? This is borderline cheating.” Another chimed in, “I would use it but if everyone is op, would make the game boring and what’s the point if I’ll have a** aim in other games, rather train and achieve natural skill.”

Fortnite player shows insane warm-up routine in Playground mode that can help you get better at building – Dexerto
Fortnite player shows insane warm-up routine in Playground mode that can help you get better at building Building is an essential aspect of Fortnite Battle Royale, and a good way to get better at it is to try out some of the intense warm-up routines that have popped up on Reddit. Reddit user ‘hot,’ who is known for his Fortnite instructional videos and posts, has published a series of routines that players can follow in the Playground mode when trying to improve their building. The Playground is a good place for this because it offers a low-pressure environment with virtually limitless resources that can be used to practice and experiment with different things before trying it in an actual match. Hot’s latest video includes four solo routines that will help players build muscle memory training drills. Read More: Fortnite world record broken for PC Squads kills – ft SpaceLyon, Replays, NickEh30, and TurkeyLips! – Aside from physically demonstrating the techniques in-game, the user has also provided an on-screen keyboard that tracks which buttons are pressed and when. These four tutorials are actually numbers 5-8 in the user’s series; there are four more routines that were uploaded earlier in the month that will also help users build muscle memory for building. Obviously, these techniques are not for novice players but rather for those who already have a strong grip and understanding of the building mechanics in Fortnite. However, there is always room for improvement, and these routines look sure to help players cross over the line that separates decent builders from pro players. It must be noted that the user does have a very low ping, which makes completing routines of this intensity much more possible. It may be more difficult for those who have higher ping or a worse connection to be able to keep up the pace. Source – Reddit

Fortnite player shows alarming drop rate for Chug Jugs in Season OG – Dexerto
Fortnite player shows alarming drop rate for Chug Jugs in Season OG Epic GamesWhile Fortnite OG has been lacking heals, it surely hasn’t lacked Chug Jugs, as one player gets a generous gift from above. Fortnite OG is the nostalgia kick fans have been waiting for, as the season’s glorious return to the days of old has the battle royale reaching unprecedented levels of success. As the name implies, OG marks a blast from the past, specifically Chapter 1, Season 5 of Fortnite. Things were much different back then, as the loot pool was much smaller while players battled for supremacy in POIs such as Tilted Towers. Despite the reduction of the loot pool, Fortnite’s been overly generous with one item. Fortnite OG player showcases high Chug Jug drop rate As more players have loaded into the Battle Bus, they’ve noticed that the Fortnite OG is very lacking in the “heals” category. It makes sense, as the trimming of the loot pool means the overabundance of smaller healing items is gone. The game’s forums have been littered with this topic, although fans are pleasantly surprised with this move. However, every one of those fans has mentioned while there aren’t many bandages and shield items, there’s a wild amount of Chug Jugs. One player perfectly showcased that sentiment in a short clip shared to FortNiteBR. In the video, they shot down a balloon care package, only to be gifted four Chug Jugs. Safe to say many of the veterans are aware this insane drop rate isn’t “historically” accurate. “The heal drop rates are not accurate to this season,” one player reflected. Funnily enough, ToniSt0rm’s not the only player to have experienced this. Much like the lack of “heals” conversation, FortNiteBR is full of players finding an abundance of Chug Jugs. With Fortnite OG just starting, expect this to get addressed as the loot pool expands with each successive update. For now, be sure to enjoy the Chug Jugs while you can, you’ll definitely need them.

Fortnite player shocks everyone by creating their own “Deadpool at home” skin – Dexerto
Fortnite player shocks everyone by creating their own “Deadpool at home” skin Reddit/Epic GamesA Fortnite player has created their own Deadpool “at-home” skin that left the community baffled. Here’s how they did that. Among the most unique features of Fortnite when compared to other Battle Royale games is its extensive cosmetics collection. With over 1,700 skins in the game’s inventory, Epic Games’ Fortnite has partnered with recognizable names in entertainment, gaming, and even music to host spectacular in-game events featuring Fortnite characters. As a result of their widespread appeal in media like comics, video games, and movies, Marvel superhero skins reached an all-time high. Players have been able to grow their locker collections in Fortnite over the previous few seasons by acquiring Battle Royale skins featuring heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Thor. Still, few are aware that the Deadpool skin from Chapter 2 Season 2 was the first of its kind to use Marvel heroes in a seasonal Battle Pass. Even though only half of the current player base was around then, individuals who didn’t get the skin have been calling for Epic to release it back into the game. One such player took the matter into their own hands and created a makeshift version of the character in Fortnite using a customizable skin. Fortnite player creates a makeshift Deadpool skin in-game A Reddit user named Picklebutt2300 shared an image of their makeshift version of Deadpool skin in Fortnite, created using one of the customizable superhero skins in the game. With it, they also attached the actual Deadpool Fortnite skin and wrote, “Do you guys think people will notice?” to further confuse players. While the detail was arguably on par with the original skin, several players expressed bewilderment. One such player said, “This ain’t Deadpool this is NonlivingAquarium.” Another chimed in, “Nah, it’s the guy from Marvel.” A third user commented, “‘Mom can we have Deadpool?’ ‘We have Deadpool at home.’ Deadpool at home be like.” A fourth replied, “If you constantly sprint you’ll be too fast for them to notice.” However, a fifth user admired the efforts and said, “To be honest, it doesn’t matter whether other people will notice, it’s hella cool anyway that you used the superhero skins the way they were intended. As long as you like it, that’s the most important thing about it.” While the conversation around previous Battle Pass skins re-releasing into the Fortnite Item Shop continues, players are even bashing the shop itself for bringing too many LEGO skins rather than the ones they want.

Fortnite player show “peak performance” in unbelievably bad 1v1 – Dexerto
Fortnite player show “peak performance” in unbelievably bad 1v1 Epic GamesFortnite players love a new clip showing two opponents unable to land a hit in a terrible 1v1 encounter. Usually, Fortnite players take to social media to show off their best moments where they pull off the craziest moves to nab a win or kill. However, every now and then, someone is brave enough to share their lowest moments when everything goes wrong. One of these lowlights has been shared on social media, showing two players in a 1v1 fight, and neither can land a hit. Fortnite players can’t hit each other in absurd 1v1 fight Shared to the Fortnite subreddit, the clip shows a painful encounter between two players with a title of “This is what peak performance looks like.” The gameplay is rough, as the two players run into each other on a metal staircase. As the fight ensues, it becomes clear that it’s a battle of attrition in the worst way. Both characters get several shots off that go straight past the enemy, and this happens for awhile until the person who posted the clip finally lands the hit to take the other out. Naturally, the community is eating this up in the comments, as one user says: “A moveable object meets a stoppable force.” Another Fortnite player references a common occurrence in the game in jest, saying, “… you must be the guys who’s gunshots last on the radar for 2 minutes straight and make you think ‘am I about to third party two bots?’” Some kindhearted fans are giving encouragement to the player, letting them know that they just have to keep playing to get better. “Are you having fun? Then, that’s all that matters. People are WAY too serious about this game. The more you play, the better you get.” It’s clearly a situation that the player is not worried about others seeing, but it’s always nice to see the Fortnite community take a lighthearted tone with their reactions.

Fortnite player shocked after receiving 21k V-Bucks following 2-year break – Dexerto
Fortnite player shocked after receiving 21k V-Bucks following 2-year break Epic Games/DexertoA Fortnite player was handed the surprise of a lifetime when they received 21,000 V-Bucks after returning to the game after a 2-year long break. Free cosmetics, whether from a Battle Pass or a quest-related event, are typical for Fortnite players. In contrast, free V-Bucks from Epic are extremely rare, occurring only in the context of refunds or active Crew subscriptions. In one instance, however, one player was taken aback to see that their V-Bucks balance had climbed to over 21,000 when they returned to the game following a two-year absence. This amount was far more than what it was when they abandoned their account in 2022. FortniteBR subreddit member Eru_Uibo posted an image of their V-Bucks balance, explaining that they stopped playing the game when their V-Bucks balance was around 700 or 800. The user was taken aback when Epic greeted them with a surplus of around 20,000 V-Bucks. Even though they weren’t sure what had transpired over time, other Fortnite players offered their own speculations. One such player said: “There was a small refund thing a couple of years ago due to a price change, and they gave people some V bucks back. I think that’s why I can’t exactly remember the whole thing.” Another argued: “There was no price adjustment thing to be able to reach that high in that amount. The lawsuit a couple of years ago, for the issues of no consent for sale to minors, granted people claims up to no more than $80 which is equal to 13,500 V-Bucks.” “This wouldn’t explain the 7,715 V-Bucks difference. Unless that’s what they had in their account when they stopped playing. That was the highest amount I know I heard of getting back, and I took up on that offer as well,” they continued. Others just assumed that was the money from the user’s ongoing Fortnite Crew subscription that he may have neglected to cancel, and it returned around 20 months’ worth of V-Bucks to his account. Regardless, it’s always a surprise for Fortnite players when they receive free in-game currency from Epic, which motivates them to continue playing the game. On the other hand, those who exploit and suffer the consequences of Fortnite wind up with a negative V-Bucks balance, which is difficult to recover from.

Fortnite Player Sends Application to be Daequan’s Teammate With Incredible Montage – Even Myth is Impressed – Dexerto
Fortnite Player Sends Application to be Daequan’s Teammate With Incredible Montage – Even Myth is Impressed An aspiring competitive Fortnite player has responded to the invitation for TSM Daequan’s open teammate position, by putting together one of the best montage’s we’ve ever seen. During a recent livestream, TSM player Daequan “Daequan” Loco announced that he was on the hunt for a teammate for future competitive Fortnite events, and that he could choose anyone he likes. So, Fortnite player ‘Keeoh’ took Daequan up on his offer, putting together a montage to demonstrate his skills and show that he ticks every box for Daequan’s criteria. Keeoh show that he has in fact taken out Daequan’s fellow TSM members Hamlinz and Myth on occasion, and is an aggressive and skilful player no matter the pressure. More: Ninja Discusses the Future of Fortnite Esports, Going Pro vs Streaming and Who he Thinks is the Best Player – Many of Keeoh’s clips in the montage show off his prowess with the hunting rifle particularly, where he is capable of picking out opponents head in a split second and making his shot count. Whether or not it is a strong enough application for Daequan to give Keeoh a try out remains to be seen, but it is certainly up there with the best montage’s we’ve seen. And one TSM member has in fact seen the montage, calling it ‘pretty nuts’. Ali “Myth” Kabbani is perhaps the best known TSM Fortnite player, so if he’s impressed, Keeoh must be doing something right. If Daequan is looking for a new teammate for upcoming Summer Skirmish tournaments, or other third party tournaments, he will need to make up his mind soon, with new events every weekend boasting massive prize pools. And these tournaments have already proven that having a big following does not mean you’re necessarily the best, with the first two weeks of Summer Skirmish being won by relatively unknown players. The top Fortnite streamer, Ninja, said it himself, explaining that “the only ones who get recognition are the streamers”, and that the best players are likely hidden gems.

Fortnite player shares unfortunate luck during “ceasefire” – Dexerto
Fortnite player shares unfortunate luck during “ceasefire” Epic GamesFortnite players have been calling for a ceasefire, and while it’s worked for some, others have shown how easily the Truce has been broken. The end of Fortnite OG is upon us, as Epic Games’ brief blast through the game’s history produced insane results. Player counts reached insane heights, and the future of the title is looking bright with a new season and modes coming. In honor of the OG detour, players have been calling for a ceasefire in-game to commemorate the end of the throwback. On December 2, players plan to stop fighting in-game. As you can imagine, not everyone’s followed the ceasefire. Fortnite player shows montage of ceasefire not working When news of the planned ceasefire broke, it seemed like a good idea, in theory. Of course, it split the player base, with some players agreeing and others not so much. Fortnite player Emoyosh shared their encounter during the day of the ceasefire, and unfortunately for them, it’s been nothing but a series of unfortunate events. In a short montage, Emoyosh showed their attempts at showing peace, and every interaction has led to their death. This led to other players sharing their experiences: “Some dude kept roasting a marshmallow on the highest hill in every circle in my ranked solos game yesterday. Eventually saw a 250m snipe in the kill feed and I knew.” Unfortunately for Emoyosh, the montage only showed ranked experiences, which brings out the evil in some players’ hearts. “Well tbf you were in ranked and just one kill helps a lot,” one player commented. As inhumane as it may seem, not everyone will agree to ceasefires scheduled two days before the end of the season. Not to mention, it takes a lot of manpower to reach every Fortnite player in the world.

Fortnite player reveals “perfect skin” to use with EMP Stealth Camo Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has shown off the ultimate skin to use when using the brand-new EMP Stealth Camo to go full stealth mode, which makes use of a famous meme. Fortnite has received a major update for Chapter 5 Season 1 through the V28.10 update and it has brought along a whole heap of additions and changes to the game. The biggest introduction is the addition of Solid Snake as part of the highly-anticipated Metal Gear Solid collaboration. This included Snake joining with an in-game NPC, quests, various skins and cosmetics and even two Mythic items. One of these Mythic items is the EMP Stealth Camo, which, when used, turns a player invisible for a short period of time. Now, a player has revealed the “perfect skin” to equip when using it in your matches. Fortnite player shows off iconic skin for EMP Stealth Camo Fortnite player Sarcasism revealed their “perfect skin for the EMP Stealth Camo” in a short clip, which makes the most of a famous WWE meme. They were shown playing in the middle of a Battle Royale match wearing the John Cena skin. They ran up to the new Mythic camo and shortly equipped it before performing the U Can’t C Me Emote when they turned invisible. Various players joked: “How were you already invisible without equipping the EMP?” Another asked: “What are you talking about you’re just a moving camera?” “Imagine you’re on top of a hill and suddenly you hear ”AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA” and then you f*ckin’ die without being able to see anyone,” one player added. This will no doubt see a surge of players digging out their old Cena skins and Emotes from their lockers to perform a flawless “U Can’t C Me” on their next victim. John Cena was originally added to the game back in 2022 as part of a collab with WWE in Chapter 3 Season 3.

Fortnite player reveals “insane” infinite movement exploit in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite player reveals “insane” infinite movement exploit in Chapter 5 Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has left the game’s community shocked with their ingenious infinite movement method in Chapter 5. Fortnite has been well underway with Chapter 5 Season 1 as the game heads towards the end of the season. A wealth of major content updates have came throughout, the biggest being Solid Snake and TMNT. These both added an array of new features, such as their own brand-new NPCs to this season’s roster. However, an NPC that has gone overlooked this season is Fortnite’s Contract Giller. Now, a player has showcased that in exploiting Giller’s unique features it can give your Squads infinite movement. Fortnite player shocks with ingenious NPC movement exploit Fortnite player and creator Jiznosh revealed their discovery to their socials, which they stated left them “jaw-dropped” after exploiting the use of the NPC Contract Giller. “This AI will get you infinite movement in Chapter 5. Contract Giller is located at the docks just northwest of Classy Courts and costs 250 Gold Bars to be hired and 250 Gold for his best feature, Rift-To-Go.” They then broke down the method: “Teammate one should activate his Rift-To-Go while teammate two stands back. Teammate two then hires Giller and uses the Rift-To-Go as well. “You can then rotate onto teams and repeat infinitely, just un-hire him, re-Rift, re-hire, it can be costly, but Gold is easy to farm this season, have fun boys.” You would need more than one player in your squad to complete this method in Chapter 5, and even though you can use it in Duos, it is best used with a full stacked team of four in Squads. This is especially due to the amount of Gold Bars you would be constantly be burning through while trying to get that Victory Royale.

Fortnite player reveals perfect counter for griefers – Dexerto
Fortnite player reveals perfect counter for griefers Epic GamesA Fortnite player has shown their peers the perfect counter to griefers in Epic Games’ battle royale, with a hilarious trick play that left his opponents with no option but elimination. Griefers in Fortnite are among the most annoying players to come against. They will chase you down with no regard for their own lives, hunting you to add an extra notch to their elimination tally. When you come up against someone playing so aggressively, it’s not always clear what the best play is, especially as it forces you into a gunfight that you may not be particularly equipped for. A lot of the time, you’re simply forced into a position where you have to take the fight and hope that you get the better of your enemy – but that doesn’t have to be the case. As shown by JustSomeRandomMan3, it takes being in the right place at the right time, but there’s one way to counter griefers perfectly. Luckily for RandomMan, their squad were perfectly positioned on the map to completely juke the enemies hunting them down. While traversing the map, the squad flew across Gorgeous Gorge, descending all the way to the bottom of the waterfall and buying themselves some time. They then laid out a wood flooring at the base of the waterfall, leaving their opponent absolutely nowhere to go when they came flying over, except all the way down into their demise, leaving fall damage to do the hard work. Many players have faced their fate with ill-judged leaps from this waterfall, but using it to your advantage like this is a seriously high-IQ move, and the enemy will likely think twice next time they attack opponents so aggressively. So if you find yourself being hunted down by a player and you’re not in the right state to be taking the fight, try to play around Gorgeous Gorge and you might just get yourself a couple of lucky catches.

Fortnite player reveals how to instantly deal 10k damage to Pandora’s Box Epic GamesA Fortnite player has revealed how to instantly deal 10k damage to Pandora’s Box using an under-utilized item that players had no idea would be so effective. A giant, magma-covered hand has broken through the Fortnite map to tempt players with Pandora’s box chained from the tips of its fingers. The video showed the player standing fearless on top of Pandora’s Box as they threw a shockwave Grenade onto the lid of the box. This exploded, sending the player flying backward, but also dealt a massive 10k damage. Players, upon seeing the clip, were suspicious of the trick’s validity, but were positively surprised after trying it in-game themselves. “This is surprisingly not misinformation,” said one person. “I got the info and I had to try it myself. I was surprised it wasn’t already posted here [Reddit] but I shared the info,” explained the original poster. While some were overjoyed at after discovering a new, easier way to deal damage in the mini-event, others felt they’d wasted their time up until now. “Me who just spent a whole game doing 75,000 damage with a pickaxe,” commented another player who referenced an extremely sad emoji face. Get out there into the world of Fortnite and help unleash whatever miraculous things are stuck inside that box.

Fortnite player reveals how to make Flowberry Fizz drink in real life – Dexerto
Fortnite player reveals how to make Flowberry Fizz drink in real life Epic GamesWant to know how you can make a real-life Flowberry Fizz? This Fortnite player reveals just how to make it at home. Fortnite consumables have a long history in the game since they are the primary healing supplies that players utilize throughout a Battle Royale match. Players always like to keep an empty spot in their inventory for a consumable item, whether they are fishing for a Flopper in a lake or camping out with minis. Throughout multiple seasons, Fortnite has added various consumable goods, each of which grants a player an ability other than shields or health bars in the game. For example, the Slap Splash provides infinite sprinting abilities for a set amount of time, whereas the Chilly consumable item provides quicker speed. In the most recent Chapter 5 Season 1, Flowberry Fizz was introduced as a consumable item that garnered popularity for all the wrong reasons. It restores shields and allows players to leap higher and prevent fall damage for a brief period. Now, one Fortnite player has discovered the right recipe to make a Flowberry Fizz drink in real life. Fortnite player creates irl Flowberry Fizz drink that looks awesome A Reddit user named Technical_Night3341 has revealed their recipe for the “most accurate” Flowberry Fizz drink in real life in a tutorial video. This recipe creates the perfect-looking Flowberry Fizz drink as seen in Fortnite Chapter 5. Although it is currently unknown how it tastes, given the name, one can sure hope it’s fruity. Looking at the clip, one Redditor said, “Dude forgot to shake it up and spray it around the living room.” Another chimed in, “Dude I need this in my life”, to which a user argued, “Y’all don’t need any more sugar.” A third user asked, “But will it let me jump straight up 10 feet in the air?” A fourth user replied, “The alcoholic version will make you believe you can.”

Fortnite player reveals genius method to trap Medallion holders in Battle Royale – Dexerto
Fortnite player reveals genius method to trap Medallion holders in Battle Royale ZemieA Fortnite player has revealed an easy and ingenious trap that will let you get the perfect revenge on players using Medallions in Battle Royale, every single time. Fortnite is finally drawing to a close with its first season of Chapter 5. It has become most known for its three new modes that dropped into the game as well as some major collabs and new additions. One of these new additions that has shaken up the meta in Chapter 5 is Medallions. These were widely considered as being way too OP when they initially launched into the Battle Royale. Despite being less dominant thanks to a few nerfs by Epic, they still have proved to be one of the most popular strategies that players abuse in their matches. However, one player has now revealed how you can get the perfect revenge on those pesky Medallions hunters, which lets you easily trap and eliminate them every single time. Fortnite player reveals genius trap for Medallion users Fortnite player and creator GoatR2 has shown off and broken down the best way to trap players with Medallions in the Battle Royale mode. In the clip, they began by stating: “I came up with a new way to trap Medallion players and it’s a little toxic.” Before trying out the method, you would need a Medallion, car, sniper and a bush close by. “First put the Medallion on the ground and cover it up with your car. Then shoot out the windshield and hop in a bush with your sniper. This makes it so your enemies have to move the car in order to get the Medallion, making for a pretty easy snipe.” GoatR2 specifically targets a player who was already holding one Medallion. This makes it much easier to attract the player, as their yellow circle location shows up on the map and they’re likely to want another Medallion for the increased benefits. As shown in the clip, the creator uses the road coming out of Pleasant Piazza, and parks their jeep directly opposite the bush they are hiding in. By simply lining up your sniper to where the opponent’s head would be when they enter the vehicle in order to move it, you can hit the perfect headshot for a quick elimination every single time. With Chapter 5 Season 2 rapidly approaching, and it being unknown whether Medallions will carry on through to next season, make sure to try it out and get your revenge while you still can.

Fortnite player recreates original launch trailer in OG Mode – Dexerto
Fortnite player recreates original launch trailer in OG Mode Epic GamesOne Fortnite fan brought new nostalgia to the game by recreating its original launch trailer in Fortnite OG. On November 3, Fortnite took a nostalgic turn by reintroducing elements from its original map, along with bringing back classic weapons and transportation modes. The return saw a huge increase in player base and broke the record for most players in a single day. The battlepass for the season also added some original elements by updating the game’s most notorious skins. Players can play as a knight, banana or Ragnarok while listening to the original loading screen music. The return of famous landing spots has brought back some added feelings for some of the OG players… Which brought on the idea for one fan to recreate the game’s very first trailer. Fortnite fans praise ‘amazing’ recreated launch trailer Twitter user ‘Scare’ took the time to blend the original Fortnite trailer from 2017 with elements from Fortnite OG. The trailer itself takes places from the original trailer and recreates them in the updated version of the game. The video quickly gained traction within the community. The post currently has over 5,000 likes and 1,000 retweets, with close to 200,000 views. “Really cool,” said one user. “I can only imagine how long this took. Have a repost!” Some users even suggested that Epic Games should have sone something similar to bring back Fortnite OG with style. “You killed it, one of the most faithful ‘trailer’ recreations I have ever seen,” said another user. “I like how you used the new skins as well. Great job!” Multiple users on Twitter asked Scare how long the video took to create – which, according to Scare, took around three to four days of working five hours a day on the project.

Fortnite player recreates Season 5 map in the style of Pokemon Emerald – Dexerto
Fortnite player recreates Season 5 map in the style of Pokemon Emerald Epic Games / The Pokemon CompanyA creative Fortnite player has reimagined the game’s Season 5 map in the style of Pokemon Emerald for a very unlikely crossover. While most Pokemon fans are currently focused on the swirling rumors of Diamond and Pearl remakes on Nintendo Switch, others are looking to previous games in the series for inspiration, like Pokemon Emerald. The game, which first released on Game Boy Advance in 2004, took trainers to the Gen 3 region of Hoenn. It remains a favorite among fans of the franchise, and has inspired some pretty epic artwork and concepts over the years. But this one is unlike anything we’ve seen before, as a talented trainer has recreated the map from another popular game, Fortnite, in the style of Pokemon Emerald. Fortnite and Pokemon Emerald crossover Reddit user worrywirt shared their original idea in the Fortnite subreddit. They transformed the latest version of the battle royale’s map, which debuted as part of the Season 5 update in December 2020, into a pixelated Pokemon Emerald style. The map includes all the Fortnite landmarks that players know and love like Pleasant Park, Misty Meadows, and Colossal Coliseum. It also features the sand that surrounds the Zero Point at the center of the map. “You have no idea how happy this makes me. Thank you for sharing,” praised one Reddit user, while another joked: “I wonder what Legendary Pokemon is in the middle? And who’s the champion?” The intriguing map concept also got fans longing for a real crossover between the games. After God of War’s Kratos and Halo’s Master Chief appeared as skins in Fortnite, fans are still waiting for a Nintendo character to arrive in the game. “I now lowkey want Ash, Misty, and Book as skins in Fortnite,” wrote one gamer, inspiring others to suggest the likes of Lucario, Mewtwo, Blaziken, and Gardevoir as potential skins that should appear in Fortnite in the future. While it’s unlikely we’ll ever see Pokemon characters appear in the world of Fortnite, especially as Nintendo are so protective over their franchises, it’s certainly an interesting idea that we’d love to see happen one day.

Fortnite player recreates iconic Peter Griffin vs Giant Chicken fight scene 20th Television AnimationThe iconic fight scene between Giant Chicken and Peter Griffin from Family Guy has now been recreated by a Fortnite player. Collaborations in Fortnite are renowned worldwide and feature prominent popular culture individuals, including athletes, streamers, and musicians. Players can participate in live events, unlock cosmetic skins, and earn rewards through Battle Pass tie-in quests, thanks to these collaborations. Players were presented with several cosmetic items, including the Petercopter glider and the cosmetic skin of the iconic character from Family Guy. They also got Peter’s nemesis, Giant Chicken as a Fortnite skin in the Item Shop last weekend, which the community dubbed pay-to-lose. Regardless, one player got imaginative with the two Family Guy skins and recreated the show’s iconic fight scene in Fortnite. Giant Chicken vs Peter Griffin fight scene gets a Fortnite remake An X user shared their Fortnite recreation of the iconic fight scene between Peter Griffin and The Giant Chicken from Family Guy. In the clip, they showed both the Fortnite skins perform a punching emote at one another, while adding sound effects of punching and the characters from the original scene in the show. Fortnite player recreates entire set of The Office in Creative mode Epic GamesPlayers have been putting hours into Fortnite Creative to make wild and incredibly detailed reimaginings of classic scenery from all corners of media, and the latest player rendition is just another day in the office. Epic Games initial launch for Fortnite Creative was on December 6, and has since given players the space and tools for the most robust builds that are only limited by the players’ imagination or the fences around an office park. Reddit user OddEditButOkay has taken the time to create a lively interpretation of the iconic business park that housed Dunder Mifflin Inc. and the lovable goofballs that worked there in the U.S. adaptation and hit-TV show, The Office. In their walk-through video of the build, it shows that OddEditButOkay took the time to adorn everything from the front parking spaces to the first floor lobby. The video goes onto to show the titular office space with insane amount of fixtures one would find in Scranton Business Park. A peek into what would be Suite 200, reveals the layout of the office from the later seasons, primarily due to the dual manager offices in the opposite corners of the room. The recreation includes Erin’s desk (hold the pitchforks, Pam was promoted to sales in the later seasons), the kitchen, the annex, the conference room and the lively warehouse fixed with a basketball court from the popular episode. OddEditButOkay even included a skit from the show, which they confirm is the first of more soon to come. Fortnite Creative is still in its early life, and if models like these are already coming to life, then the future is bright for what more fans have in store.

Fortnite player perfectly sums up each area on Chapter 5 Season 4 map – Dexerto
Fortnite player perfectly sums up each area on Chapter 5 Season 4 map Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has divided the Chapter 5 Season 4 map into sections to summarise the state of each area of the Battle Royale island map, including the most popular, best, and forgotten about parts. Epic has shaken up Fortnite’s Chapter 5 map once again with the release of the Marvel-themed Absolute Doom season. The update has added three new POIs to mark Doctor Doom’s reign, such as Castle Doom, Doomstadt, and The Raft. Despite the new season only being out for three days, Fortnite creator Fitzyleaks perfectly summed up the state of the Chapter 5 map with the changes in a post to his Twitter/X account on August 19. They split this season’s Battle Royale map into eight different parts, each labeled with brief summaries. These included: “Forgotten,” Goated rotation,” “Half of the lobby dies here,” and “Who lands here now.” “Best POI this season is The Raft in my opinion. It’s action packed almost every match + boss drops cool stuff,” the creator added. This matches our guide’s ranking as the best landing spot in Fortnite. The post quickly went viral for its accuracy, garnering over twenty-three thousand likes and many players agreeing with the breakdown of the map. “This is beautifully true,” one simply stated. “The forgotten zone is so damn boring. I don’t understand how it hasn’t been updated yet. This map needed WAY more change. I don’t even go to the new locations because it’s too chaotic,” another added. On the other hand, some felt as if Mount Olympus POI, which was under the “3 people lands here” section, and other “quieter” spots, such as The Nitrodome categorized under “who lands here now,” were unfairly treated. “Most of the old places have a ton of Avengers Chests and I personally land Nitrodrome for the War Machine stuff,” one highlighted. “Proudly one of the three people landing at Mount Olympus,” another chimed in. All things considered, Fitzyleaks has managed to sum up the patterns of the Chapter 5 Season 4 map, which most areas have remained true throughout the entire chapter, despite any of the new POI and major map changes. If you want to switch up the locations you land at during the new Fortnite season, we have provided complete guides on the best chest spawn locations on the map and where you can find every Dr. Doom and Avengers chests across the island.

Fortnite player pulls off insane clutch win while “rocket riding” in Season OG – Dexerto
Fortnite player pulls off insane clutch win while “rocket riding” in Season OG Epic GamesA Fortnite player has accomplished the extraordinary by rocket riding to victory in Season OG. The video that was uploaded by the player went viral due to a remarkable technique of how they clutched the win. Here’s how the community reacted. Fortnite, the enormously popular Battle Royale game is reaching its zenith with the introduction of Season OG as players are back on the Chapter 1 island. This time around, however, there are not just the OG players but also the newer players who are playing on the classic map for the first time. This has resulted in the same OG veterans now schooling newer players with some Chapter 1 tricks and employing those themselves when playing the Battle Royale. Riding a rocket launched from a Rocket Launcher is one example of such a tricky move in Fortnite. Since rocket riding is so well-liked among OG Fortnite players and streamers, a player has now pulled off an insane clutch win with it. Let’s check out what the player did and how the community reacted to it. Fortnite player clutches Victory Royale using insane rocket riding trick A user named bobrt shared a clip of their Fortnite Season OG gameplay where they managed to clutch a win using an insane technique from the Chapter 1 days. The player here first fired a rocket right above them and grappled so they could ride it higher in the sky. Once they were high enough, they fired Grenade Launcher shots at their opponent and quickly used a Rift-to-Go before falling to the ground. To their surprise, the grenade shots were enough to eliminate their opponent, thus granting them a Victory Royale. Popular dataminer HYPEX shared the clip on X saying, “Bro thinks he’s Toji Fushiguro”. A user further commented, “Who let bro cook”. Another chimed in, “10x cooler than any trickshot I’ve seen of my feed so far”. A third added, “You can grapple rockets?”. As Fortnite Season OG continues to bring massive players and viewers along, streamers and players are finding new ways to grab a win in the game.

Fortnite player perfectly recreates OG map and it’s amazing – Dexerto
Fortnite player perfectly recreates OG map and it’s amazing Epic GamesFortnite has evolved into something far beyond our wildest dreams over the years, but one fan is bringing players back to a simpler time with a re-creation of the classic map. Different seasons have come and gone, changing the course of Fortnite’s lore forever. With each massive twist, the map itself has undergone several huge overhauls, as a means to keep gameplay fresh with each update. However, there are still some players out there who want to revisit a time in Fortnite, before dimension-changing rifts and Dune-inspired cosmetics. As a result, one fan has gone above and beyond to painstakingly re-build Fortnite’s original map. Fortnite fan takes us back to Athena In the first Chapter of Fortnite, Athena was the location where players would do battle and despite all the changes, it remains a beloved favorite among the community. While players can’t officially drop back into Athena, Fortnite fan @TheBoyDilly has gone out of his way to re-create Athena for everyone to enjoy once again. Able to accommodate impressive features such as “Victory Royale and Eliminations Save” and “Accurate POI’s,” the meticulously crafted creation is available to experience within the game now via the Creative mode. ~ ATHENA ROYALE ~ 🗺️OG Battle Royale (Ch1 S2.5) 👥50 player lobbies 🔫OG Loot Pool 💯Accurate POI’s 🌟Weekly Battle Stars 💾 Victory Royale and Eliminations SavePlay Now: ⏩https://t.co/3fC5yPoMoK pic.twitter.com/6lLhrfmhlh — Atomic TheBoyDilly (@TheBoyDilly) October 21, 2021 Fans have been loving the Creative addition too, with one fan saying: “I’m finally home.” While the map still has teeth issues in regards to the closing circle, the overall reception has been largely positive: “Love the map. The nostalgia hit me like a truck,” added another. The clever rebuild will likely only increase calls for Epic Games to bring the old back in some sort of LTM, but who know if that’ll happen.

Fortnite player perfectly sums up each area on Chapter 5 map: “No one is here”, “Warzone”, more – Dexerto
Fortnite player perfectly sums up each area on Chapter 5 map: “No one is here”, “Warzone”, more Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has perfectly summed up the state of the Chapter 5 Season 1 map according to various popular and not-so-popular locations across the island. Fortnite’s map changes have always been one of the biggest talking points across the Battle Royale community. This goes for any changes to the island, whether that be whole new maps at the start of each Chapter or various smaller updates during each season. Players will typically build up their own arsenal of favorite locations to drop and routes to take that directly impact their in-game strategies to get a Victory Royale. Now that Chapter 5 Season 1 has been in full swing, one player has perfectly summed up the state of the map and the different locations. Fortnite player reveals “wildy accurate” state of Chapter 5 map Fortnite player CobaltChromeA returned to the game’s subreddit to post: “I did this a year ago, gonna do it again: My honest vision of the current map.” They had broken down the whole Chapter 5 map, which was split into sections for how they saw each part of the island. These included: “Everyone may be here,” “Endgame,” “No one is here,” and “This exists?” Many players agreed with the overall breakdown, “How did you get everything correct!” One said as another added: “This is wildly accurate.” However, players felt the popular Yacht location should’ve been included as it has “more chests in close proximity than literally any other non-named part of the map. I get more wins starting there than anywhere else.” Despite this, the OP admitted that “Reddit crashed two times while making this post, so I was so pissed I didn’t even circle the Yacht.” Overall, it has proved to give a widely-accepted account of the map locations across the player base, even if it has exposed “secret” spots that some players wished weren’t highlighted further in the comments.

Fortnite player parodies Festival mode censoring songs by dubbing in kiddie version – Dexerto
Fortnite player parodies Festival mode censoring songs by dubbing in kiddie version Epic GamesA Fortnite player has parodied Epic Games for choosing to censor popular songs in Festival mode with a viral fake video that has fooled players into thinking they are being replaced with kid covers. Fortnite faced waves of backlash when it first announced and then launched new age-restricted features in the game. This led to many players even demanding refunds for their restricted content. After officially backflipping on their initial changes to cosmetics in particular, which restricted players’ cosmetics due to their age, these restrictions have still been present in the game in various ways. Even though the dust has settled somewhat, Fortnite players have still regularly expressed their distaste for limiting some features. Now, one player has even gone as far as to parody the Fortnite Festival mode’s censorship, which soon went viral after they made a fake video that replaced a popular song in the game with a kids’ version. Fortnite player goes viral for hilarious Festival mode parody Well-known Fortnite creator iFireMonkey posted: “Fortnite really just puts anything in Fortnite Festival.” The player showed a video of them browsing the Jam Tracks in the Item Shop, where they soon selected the Kidz Bop 40 cover of Billie Eilish’s hit song Bad Guy. Once selected, the censored kids’ version of the song began playing, which had various children singing the song instead of Eilish. This was used to mimic that Epic Games had actually replaced the original version in the in-game Item Shop. However, this was clearly not the case. Most players instantly instead realized they were taking a shot at Epic Games, who had been criticized for censoring various songs in the game, following the introduction of age ratings. Many players fell for it, by asking: “Who at Epic insisted on this being added?” as another said: “more copyright stuff great,” as they thought it was to do with licensing issues. The majority knew it was fake and saw the funny side, “Hahaha, Kidz Bop 1 was awesome,” as another stated, “It is better than Billie Eilish’s version.” Overall, age restrictions have still proved to be a hot topic in the Fortnite community, as Epic continues to try and get the balance right.

Fortnite player offers surprising suggestion that would drastically improve chests – Dexerto
Fortnite player offers surprising suggestion that would drastically improve chests Chests are an integral and fundamental aspect of Fortnite Battle Royale, and one player has an idea that would make them drastically better. While no one is really complaining about chests in Fortnite, most players will know the deflating feeling of opening one only to find a Common gray weapon that offers no real chance against good players, especially in the hectic early game phase. To address this, Reddit user ‘Krazyflipz’ proposes that Epic Games should remove all Common rarity weapons from chests and instead have them, just spawn on the floor. “Remove all Common weapons, except Grenades, from chests,” he wrote. “Getting a Common weapon out of a chest feels bad. Chests should guarantee Uncommon or better weapons.” If this change were to be implemented, chests would hold only Uncommon or higher rarity weapons and items, with the exception of Grenades, since they only come as Common items and are powerful enough to warrant being in chests. The Redditor goes on to say that if Epic were to go through with this kind of change, they should also increase the drop rate of Assault Rifles in chests. “With the removal of bursts the changes of an AR are already a lot lower than before,” he wrote. His claim does seem to make sense as the removal of the lower rarity variants of the Burst AR have left the Common AR (M16) as the only weapon in the class with such rarity. If that were to be removed from chests, it would drastically reduce the likelihood of getting ARs in general since most of the other rarer variants won’t be in chests often enough to make up the difference. Although Epic are unlikely to make such a drastic adjustment, it would seem that most of the player-base would approve of the change, especially since it doesn’t remove Common items in the game and improves the quality of the loot that comes from chests. It would also slightly reduce the “luck of the draw” aspect of Fortnite since players will no longer be at an immediate disadvantage against players who get better loot. While there will still be a disparity in the quality of loot that chests give out, at least there won’t be the risk of there being Commons as those are considerably weaker than their higher-tiered counterparts.

Fortnite player outsmarts Vault campers with “Solid Snake” stealth technique – Dexerto
Fortnite player outsmarts Vault campers with “Solid Snake” stealth technique Epic GamesOne Fortnite player revealed a genius trap that Snake himself would be proud of, which allowed them to stealthily pounce on their victim and steal all their rare Vault loot. Fortnite has unleashed a major V28.10 patch onto the Battle Royale game, which has brought a wealth of changes. Solid Snake has finally arrived, complete with his own skin, cosmetics, quests, NPC and even two Mythic Items. The Metal Gear Solid collaboration has also seen Raiden get his own skin in the days following. Now, a Fortnite player has used the MGS Mythic Cardboard Boxes in a clever trap to outsmart his opponent who was breaking into a Vault and stealing all the loot for themselves. Fortnite player masters the art of Cardboard Box camping Fortnite player JustA_Pengiun posted a short clip and asked: “I know we all hate Vault campers, but can I get a pass for this?” The enemy player was seen running down to the Vault at Lavish Lair after defeating the NPC boss Oscar as they attempted to haul all the loot inside. However, they were surprised to find five Cardboard Boxes blocking the path. They proceeded to jump around and inspect the boxes, before jumping in one while they waited for the Vault to open. As soon as it was open, JustA_Pengiun pounced out the top of a box and quickly eliminated the player to steal all loot. The OP admitted: “This is the only time I managed to get the kill, but like 2 or 3 other people also missed me. I didn’t think this would work originally but I was very clearly proven wrong.” Campers typically get a bad reputation in Fortnite, and many players echoed: “The problem with Vault campers is that there’s often advantageous right-hand peeks and no-build zones nearby putting the camper at an advantage.” But, in this case, players praised the player by stating it was “100% a skill issue for the other guy for walking right past the most suspicious setup possible in this game.” MGS fans came out in full force to praise the OP for pulling off a stealthy move that Snake himself would be proud of: “It’s a good life lesson. I’ve never trusted a box since MGS1.” With players thinking: “these must be from the new update… let me try one of these out,” this method should still prove effective for some time. So, make sure you try it our for yourself in your next match.

Fortnite player obliterates monitor in destructive rage after loss – Dexerto
Fortnite player obliterates monitor in destructive rage after loss A Fortnite Battle Royale Twitch streamer has shattered his monitor in a moment of rage after a loss, leaving him and his viewers shocked. Everyone knows what it feels like to lose a close-fought battle. Some people get over it by meticulously skimming over the replays to figure out where you went wrong. Others don’t bother to dwell on it, taking each game in their stride and laughing it off. However, there are those people who have to let out some steam. Whether it’s by yelling, smashing your table, or generally wriggling around in your chair, some players can only get over the tilt by raging a little. Sometimes though, things get messy – and expensive. Fortnite streamer ‘tetsufn’ saw that for himself after tilting during an intense build battle. As the final circle started approaching, and the number of players were whittling down, Tetsu was setting himself up for success. Read more: xQc blows kid’s mind with Fortnite rant – However, he was met with resistance with about 20 people to go. While he tried to get around it, he fell victim to a rogue spike trap, leading to him calling his adversary “b***h” and flinging his keyboard across his desk. What was on the other side of his desk though was a precious monitor which he used to keep an eye on chat. His keyboard went right through the screen, smashing it and causing a massive tear in the display. In the adrenaline rush, the streamer could only manage to scream in shock. “I just – I just, oh my god,” Tetsu said. “Zamond, I just ruined my second monitor. Oh my god.” He panned his camera onto the second screen to show off the damage, and it was pretty nasty. While not completely unusable, there’s not a hell of a lot he can do with it with that much damage. As for his keyboard, it seemingly escaped unscathed from the fit of rage. He later uploaded a better photo of the destroyed monitor on Twitter, captioned with a “:(“ that spoke 1000 words. The screen is completely cracked, with black bars running across the entire right third of the monitor. He won’t be without a second monitor for long, with the streamer announcing that he has indeed bought a new one to replace it. However, the 144hz curved beast is likely to be more valuable than the one he just lost so, hopefully, he takes a bit more care when playing around it. After that, Tetsu ended up stepping away from his PC and getting a breather, which is always the smart thing to do when you begin tilting. He also learned a valuable lesson about being a bit more careful when letting his emotions get the better of him.

Fortnite player going for Mythic Golfish achievement fails at worst time – Dexerto
Fortnite player going for Mythic Golfish achievement fails at worst time The Mythic Goldfish item is one of the rarest items in Fortnite Battle Royale with three achievements attached to it, and one Fortnite player came so tantalizingly close to completing them all before failing at the worst time. The Mythic Goldfish is arguably the rarest item Fortnite’s ever seen. Introduced in Chapter 2 with the fishing update, the item dishes out 200 damage to an enemy player, knocking them out regardless of health and shields. However, it has a notoriously low catch rate, and finding one in the wild is the equivalent of hitting the lottery jackpot. One Fortnite player’s luck was definitely high when he found one on Christmas Day, but it ran out when he needed it most. Reddit user ‘Niccorazi-’ shared the clip on the Fortnite subreddit of the moment he caught the rare item, dubbing over the video with his reaction at the time. “I was just fishing trying to get weapons,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting to catch it so I didn’t even realize until after I caught it and I was like ‘c**p I caught a Mythic Goldfish.’ I picked it up and I’m like ‘okay I’ve gotta take this seriously now.’” The Mythic Goldfish has a catch rate of around 0.000136%, which means there’s a 1 in 735,294 chance to get the incredibly rare item from fishing. With such a low chance, the achievements attached to finding one are incredibly prestigious. You complete a mission just by catching the Mythic Goldfish, as well as eliminating an opponent with it. The third one is getting yourself eliminated by one, which you might be able to do by dropping it to an enemy mid-fight. He found himself in a fight at Slurpy Swamp with about 25 players remaining, and the opportunity to use the Mythic Goldfish opened up. He pegged the weapon at his enemy, downing them, swapping to his gun to secure the kill. However, his opponents had other plans, killing him as he was finishing off the downed enemy. There was still a chance he could complete the achievement if the team let their ally bleed out, but sadly that was not the case for Niccorazi, who was disappointed after coming so close to completing the rare ‘Trophy Hunter’ achievement. The enemy ran off with his Mythic Goldfish, probably to complete the achievement for themselves. The chances of Nicorazzi finding another Mythic Goldfish are highly unlikely, so he let a golden opportunity slip through his fingers (no pun intended). Having come so painfully close, this will likely haunt the player for the rest of his Fortnite days, wondering what could have been.

Fortnite player notices a weird inaccuracy about Invincible skins – Dexerto
Fortnite player notices a weird inaccuracy about Invincible skins Epic GamesFortnite players have discovered that none of the Guardians of the Globe are featured in the recently released Invincible bundle. Invincible is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man. Fortnite collaborated with the Amazon Prine-exclusive TV show to release a bundle of three skins for the main characters in the game. These skins came with a total of five back blings as well to give added references from the show. However, the bundle, named ‘Guardians of the Globe’, is misleading to those who know the show. One member of the official Fortnite Reddit page drew attention to the inconsistency just a few days after the bundle left the shop. Fortnite exposed for inaccuracy in Invincible bundle Reddit user Jacwe posted an image of the bundle that was released in Fortnite with the title ‘Fun Fact: No one in the Guardians of the Globe bundle is actually in the Guardians of the Globe in the Invincible show’ which had gone unnoticed by a majority of the community. The bundle includes skins for Mark Grayson, Robot, and Atom Eve, but none of these characters are actually members of the Guardians of the Globe in the Invincible show. The Guardians of the Globe are a team of superheroes mentioned in the show, but they never actually appear. “They were all close enough at some point, I guess,” said one commenter. “I think Epic just wanted to name the bundle something referential instead of just calling it ‘the Invincible bundle’.” Others beneath the post agreed with the sentiment, saying that each of the characters in the bundle had some association with the Guardians of the Globe, even if they were not named as official members. The bundle itself has been removed from the shop for an unknown amount of time. Fortnite has not addressed the inconsistencies in the naming and will likely not due to the likelihood of the bundle returning to the shop.

Fortnite player literally kicks enemy out of a bush for ridiculous kill – Dexerto
Fortnite player literally kicks enemy out of a bush for ridiculous kill Epic GamesWhile sliding downhill at full speed, a Fortnite player accidentally kicked an enemy out of a bush, resulting in quite the ridiculous kill. Bush camping has been a go-to tactic for many players since Fortnite’s launch year. Oftentimes, hiding in the Island’s thick foliage works wonders for those who want to get the drop on unsuspecting passersby. As with most online shooters, however, camping isn’t always the best course of action for Fortnite players, no matter how skilled. One bush camper learned this lesson the hard way, thanks to an attack that took all involved by surprise. Fortnite player’s bush kill is a wild stroke of luck While sliding downhill in a Fortnite match, Reddit user daddyxvance slid into a bush that, unbeknownst to them, was occupied by another player. Suffice it to say, things didn’t end well for the previously well-hidden bush camper. Upon getting kicked out of their hiding place, the camper flew several feet into the air, then landed with a force that instantly removed them from the playing field. The Redditor captured footage of the surprising occurrence, which can be seen in the video below: In addition to landing a shocking bush kill, the victorious Fortnite player also earned extra XP for “eliminating someone else’s bounty target.” Thus, it seems the camper had a good reason for sneaking around, though here’s to hoping the player finds a better hiding spot the next time they’re on the run. Fortnite is currently in Season 4 of Chapter 3, a seasonal update that Epic released last month. Notably, Season 4 introduced a new substance known as Chrome, playable Spider-Gwen, and Paradigm.

Fortnite player left baffled after getting absolutely stomped by insane bot – Dexerto
Fortnite player left baffled after getting absolutely stomped by insane bot Epic GamesBots are supposed to make the games easier and help new players learn. However, it seems this “scary” bot has taught one player a lesson instead. Bots were first introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1, for the sole reason of helping new players familiarize themselves with the game, though sometimes they’re also used to fill up lobbies. You’ll often see them behaving in a predictable way. Missing their shots, breaking walls for no reason, moving in a straight line — these are just some of the things that a bot would usually do. Hence why, in most cases, it’s easy to tell whether you’re up against a real person or a bot. Typically, players won’t have to break a sweat when they encounter one, but it looks like that was not the case for one certain player. In a Reddit thread titled “Nobody believes me when I say bots are scary,” one player shared a clip showing their experience meeting a terrifying bot during their match. It started with the player descending to the ground with their glider. Due to the visual cue, they noticed that someone was nearby and quickly turned around in the direction the sound was coming from. At this point, the player had spotted a bot swimming. Despite the player putting up their Ballistic Shield and pointing their weapon at the bot, it did not react and carried on its business. For a while, it didn’t fight back despite being attacked. However, in a surprising turn of events, all of a sudden the bot fired their weapon, breaking the player’s shield in an instant. Before the player could do anything, they were sprayed with a barrage of bullets and eliminated in the blink of an eye. And just like that, the OP was sent back to the lobby. Other players quickly flocked to this thread, sharing their reactions regarding what the user went through. One of the top responses was, “I would be terrified if someone came flipping towards me like that.” This was followed by a reply saying, “That bot was enjoying every second of that swim, practicing their diving skills while at it, too, lol.” “And you thought you were hunting him,” mentioned another. Meanwhile, some players were confused as to how it managed to break his shield so quickly. Looking at another reply, one user claimed that bots could have “random aim” and that OP just “got really unlucky.”

Fortnite player in disbelief after falling for 400 IQ NPC trick – Dexerto
Fortnite player in disbelief after falling for 400 IQ NPC trick Epic GamesA Fortnite player got a shock when they were suddenly eliminated by what appeared to be a friendly NPC on the map. Fortnite has been well underway with Chapter 5 Season 1 and has featured various major mid-season content updates that have dropped into the Battle Royale. The biggest has been the addition of Solid Snake and TMNT. These have both added a wave of new features in which both have added brand-new NPCs to this season’s roster, such as Master Splinter. However, it was Vengeance Jones, the original NPC added at the very start of Chapter 5 Season 1, that was used to trick and eliminate one player using a 400 IQ play. Fortnite player gets fooled by ingenious NPC trick Fortnite player Subject_Beat_9231 posted: “Can’t believe I fell for this wtf.” This was paired by a short clip that showed them parking up their car and innocently heading down to the Underground HQ. Despite the coast having seemed clear, things soon turned for the worst after they approached what they thought was the harmless Vengeance Jones NPC. Ironically, Jones offers a prop disguise for just 50 Gold Bars, but the last thing the player expected was to be fooled by a player who was posing as the agent. As soon as they tried to interact with the suspected NPC, the enemy player instantly eliminated them with their shotgun. Various players praised the opposing player. One stated: “that’s actually genius,” with various others echoeing that they were going to “steal this” and try it for themselves. Another added: “Just please for the love of god, don’t equip a bright neon green gun wrap like this guy,” as typically the NPC is just strolling around without a weapon, whereas the disguised player managed to pull it off easily depsite using a bright green Hammer Pump Shotgun. How to get Vengeance Jones skin in Fortnite The Vengeance Jones skin that was used to pull off the ingenious disguise can be obtained from Page 5 of the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass. This season’s Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks. So, if you want to try it out yourself and don’t have the skin already, then make sure you stack up on V-Bucks before you make the purchase. Fortnite player hits insane mid-air golf shot off of the new Quadcrasher, and Epic Games comment – Dexerto
Fortnite player hits insane mid-air golf shot off of the new Quadcrasher, and Epic Games comment It has been less than a day since the Quadcrasher vehicle was added to Fortnite Battle Royale, and players are already using it to make highlight plays. The new Quadcrasher has a built-in boost feature, which allows players to thrust it forward while in mid-air. There is even an on-screen counter that displays how long a player is able to keep the vehicle in the air before landing. Using this boost ability, Reddit user ‘iBolts‘ was able to nail an incredible golf shot while flying the Quadcrasher through the air at high speed. Once he was able to get the vehicle in the air using the power of one of the Ruins near Lazy Links, he then thrusted a few times, accumulating an astonishing airtime score of 414,900. Mid-flight, the player then used the golf emote to attempt a shot at one of the nearby holes, which resulted in a spectacular effort. This whole trick was so well executed and impressive, that even ‘MrPopoTFS,’ an Epic Games community manager, had to comment. “What an incredible shot combined with amazing airtime,” he wrote. Another user commented exactly what everyone was thinking when first watching this video: “The servers just put up less than an hour ago and you’re already hitting these with the Quadcrasher…” Perhaps the most amazing thing about this whole sequence was the fact that the player pulled it off on console, and did not have the luxury of the pin-point accuracy that a mouse and keyboard can provide.

Fortnite player horrified by grim discovery about Doom’s castle in Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite player horrified by grim discovery about Doom’s castle in Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic GamesIn a new teaser image for Doctor Doom’s castle in Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite, fans suddenly realized that the infamous villain’s throne looked a bit too familiar. The Absolute Doom event beginning on August 16 is a Marvel-themed Season bringing back old mythics and new skins of fan-favorite superheroes and villains, such as Victor von Doom. One Reddit user pointed out a horrifying feature of Doctor Doom’s castle, specifically with the throne, as it looked just like The Thing from The Fantastic Four. This would mean that Doctor Doom turned The Thing into his own personal throne. Many replies were shocked at how dark this was, with one user saying “Damn, that’s cold as sh*t…” Another comment pointed out something worse: “that is specifically his skin, meaning either killed and skinned him or pulled his skin off with him being alive.” You wouldn’t imagine this being in a game where the core audience is children, even another reply said “thats actually quite wild for a kids game.” Someone else responded that the game’s ESRB rating was T for Teen, but it’s still wild to think about. Players more familiar with Doom weren’t so caught off guard at this discovery. Someone stated that Doom hates the Fantastic Four and “wouldn’t be surprised if he makes Reed into his personal toilet paper or something.” “Another fan made a pun out of it and said, “That’s Grimm,” a nod to The Thing’s actual name, Ben Grimm. Although The Thing is down for the count, the rest of the heroes’ demise is still unknown. The teaser for the Fantastic Four eluded to the possibility of skins, but it could’ve also signified the heroes’ deaths in this universe at the hands of Doctor Doom. Fans will have to wait until they get their hands on Chapter 5 Season 4’s new map to see what other horrors lie within Doctor Doom’s castle.

Fortnite player hilariously proves why Zero Build mode is better – Dexerto
Fortnite player hilariously proves why Zero Build mode is better Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has hilariously proven why the Zero Build mode is better than builds lobbies and it’s genius. Here’s what they said. Fortnite Battle Royale has been extremely popular. Genre enthusiasts who enjoy putting their game abilities to the test by surviving in a 100-player battle to be the last person standing have flocked to it. However, Fortnite’s building mechanic, which can change the tide of a fight, distinguished it from other BR games out there. Over time, players have acquired the title of “sweats” by honing their building abilities and dominating Battle Royale lobbies, leaving casual players in the dust. As a result, Fortnite added Zero Build mode in Chapter 3 to help them enjoy the game and bring in new players. Since then, the Zero Build mode has grown in popularity, and one fan has hilariously proved why it is superior to all other modes in the game. Here’s how they demonstrated it. Fortnite player illustrates a diagram why Zero Build mode is better A Reddit user named imalonexc has created a meme featuring Fortnite star Ninja and Peely skin while explaining why Zero Build mode is better in the game. Under the build mode section, a crying Ninja is shown while pointing an Assault Rifle at Peely and saying, “Peely builds a wall and you can’t shoot him.” However, under the Zero Build mode section, a happy Ninja face is shown while aiming at a dead Peely skin and saying, “you can shoot Peely u win.” The hilarity of this diagram mocks Ninja since he plays Zero Build mode on his streams and has repeatedly admitted that he prefers it to the builds mode. The meme drew in players who agreed with the diagram, where one player said: “I like Zero Build, not just because [there’s] no sweats but also because of overshield. “It’s nice being able to get out of minor injuries (eg vehicle mistakes) and small fights unharmed whilst still making you have to med up after serious combat.” Another one argued: “The fact that most build pros could probably slam ZB lobbies even harder is crazy [because] you [got to] keep in mind that not only is their aim usually insane but their reflexes are a lot better too.” A third chimed in: “I like Zero Build because it nicely balances the whacky world of Fortnite with the realism of moving tactically.” Fortnite’s player base is constantly debating about the better game mode among Battle Royale or Zero Build, hence Epic now allows fans of both modes to compete in tournaments across modes of their choice.

Fortnite player hailed as “genius” for new strategy to defeat car thieves – Dexerto
Fortnite player hailed as “genius” for new strategy to defeat car thieves FortniteFew things are as infuriating as procuring and fully modding a car in Fortnite, only to have someone swoop in and steal it from you, but one player has a “genius” solution to deal with car robbers. Whether you love or hate the vehicle meta, cars are the kings of Fortnite in Chapter 5 season 3. With mods like Machine Gun Turret and Grenade Launcher Turret, these vehicles are wrecking machines. The most letal move an adversary can pull on you is nabbing your fully-modded car and taking it for themselves. Once your car gets nabbed, it’s game over. Especially if it happens late in the match. Epic Games tried to introduce weapons to counter the cars’ destructive power, like Boogie Bombs, but these additions did nothing but further enrage players. Players have been struggling all season to keep their rides safe to no avail. But now one Reddit user posted a strategy to fend off theives to the Fortnite Battle Royale forum, and players are calling it genius. Here’s the trick: buy Remote Explosives from a vendor NPC like Jonesy. Plant them in your car. Then, when some unsuspecting player steals it, you watch them drive your car into the sunset and press the explode button. Boom. Instant justice. The community did more than just praise this strategy, they worked together to improve it. Some suggested taking it up a notch: drive your car onto a rock and plant the explosives on the underside so it’s completely invisible. Even better, break the windows and toss the explosives inside. It’s like a stealth bomb on wheels. We’re almost a month away from Chapter 5 Season 3 ending, but Fortnite players are still cooking up new strategies. Whether it’s blowing up car thieves or inventing new ways to hide explosives, they keep the game fresh in hopes to beat the “stale meta” allegations.

Fortnite Player Has Made a New Website That Includes All Battle Pass Challenges on an Interactive Map – Dexerto
Fortnite Player Has Made a New Website That Includes All Battle Pass Challenges on an Interactive Map Someone has designed a brand new website that includes all of the Fornite Battle Pass challenges on an interactive map. The website, known as ‘FortFriend’, could end up being a huge and popular source of help for the popular Battle Royale title’s vast player-base. The weekly challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale are only available to those who purchase the seasonal Battle Pass, which gives players access to loads of in-game content. XP points are awarded to those who complete the individual challenges, as well as a larger, bulk XP bonus for completing a whole week’s set. The designer for FortFriend, known on Reddit as ‘tmant1234,’ has looked to make completing these challenges a whole lot easier as he has compiled all of the weekly challenges in a centralized hub, along with an interactive Fortnite map that displays where the challenges can be completed. A great aspect of this website is that individual challenges from each week can be toggled on and off, so that map only includes the specific challenges that users want to see. Here is a video previewing the website and how it works. The website has received very strong and positive feedback on Reddit, with many users commenting on how well the concept has been translated into a physical and usable website. As a result of this sudden wave of popularity, it appears that the website went offline for a period of time due to its servers being strained from the great number of people who were attempting to access it.

Fortnite player goes viral for creating custom emotes everyone wants – Dexerto
Fortnite player goes viral for creating custom emotes everyone wants YouTube: KulbidaFortnite’s emotes are one of the best parts of the battle royale, and one creator is upping the ante with a custom set of emotes that are turning heads. Since its release back in 2017, Fortnite has drastically changed its presentation. What started as “Save the World” has evolved into an otherwordly zany battle royale, home to skin collaborations where players can battle as Travis Scott or Ariana Grande. Of course, the previously mentioned celebrities are just the tip of the iceberg of how massive Fortnite has become, but this philosophy doesn’t stop there. Plenty of emotes based on famous interactions or legendary gestures flood the shop, and thousands more will continue to join the roster as time progresses. Speaking of emotes, one Fortnite creator is creating a batch of custom emotes, and hopefully, Epic Games sees them. Fortnite player’s custom emotes go viral Kulbida is a Fortnite content creator whose YouTube channel is home to various animations and skits related to the battle royale. Starting the New Year on a different note, Kulbida is working on custom emotes. In a short video posted to the game’s subreddit, they showed six unique emotes based on iconic moments from various memes, The Simpsons, the 1994 film The Mask, and more. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with much praise towards the censored emote. “The censored one would be so great to actually have in-game,” one comment stated, although the likelihood of that happening is very slim. With Epic Games seemingly having their finger on the pulse of the emote-worthy community, it’ll be interesting to see if the developers make this collaboration happen.

Fortnite player goes viral for recreating perfect Sonic The Hedgehog in Creative Epic Games/SEGAA Fortnite player has gone viral for creating Sonic the Hedgehog in their upcoming Creative 2.0 map which includes an inspired gameplay of the classic. The iconic mode has given gamers the power to create their own gaming experiences, allowing them to push the limits of creativity and enjoy a broad choice of maps within the Fortnite ecosystem. Members of the Fortnite Creative community have created a welcoming space where they can showcase their creations and work together on projects based on popular culture or board games like Monopoly. Furthermore, with rumors surrounding UEFN creators being able to make their own race tracks in Rocket Racing and stage in Fortnite Festival, players are more thrilled than ever. However, a creator has now recreated Sonic the Hedgehog game in Fortnite Creative and since has gone viral. Here’s how it looks and what fans had to say about it. UEFN creator makes perfect Sonic the Hedgehog Fortnite Creative map A Fortnite UEFN creator named Rctheking shared their latest creation on X which is a recreation of Sonic the Hedgehog arcade game in Creative 2.0 mode. In the post they showcased a perfect recreation of Sonic in the game and how the character moves identically to the classic games. The creator then posted several clips showcasing Tails from the Sonic series, Sonic’s dash movement, and an area that resembles the Green Hills Zone from the classic arcade game. The recreation mimics assets and gameplay to that of a 2022 Sonic Frontiers game which is built on Hedgehog Engine 2. However, the current Fortnite recreation is made on Unreal Engine 5.1 which offers more details and an immersive gameplay experience, thanks to the Verse script. While the creator clarified that the Fortnite map is “far from done”, players rushed into the comments with their views on the same. One such player said, “This is awesome! Imagine Sonic 1 fully recreated in Fortnite with actual boss fights.” Another chimed in, “It’s cool, but be careful with DMCA. You don’t have the rights.” While similar comments flooded the creator’s page, they also would need to pay close attention to Epic Games’ Island Publishing terms to avoid any DMCA or copyright conflicts that might restrict them from publishing the map altogether.

Fortnite player goes ‘bananas’ playing Festival mode with bizarre controller – Dexerto
Fortnite player goes ‘bananas’ playing Festival mode with bizarre controller Epic GamesFortnite Festival players are loving the return of Guitar Hero in-game, and one player’s dedication to the mode is absolutely bananas. Aside from introducing its usual changes to the battle royale mode, Fortnite‘s Chapter 5 introduced three new major modes — Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival. Each mode serves as a homage to classic titles Rocket League, Minecraft, and Rock Band/Guitar Hero. Feedback around the modes has been pretty positive, in particular, Fortnite Festival, as it marks the return of musical titles that have been dormant for years. Clips have flooded the internet with players performing in-game tracks on the hardest difficulties, using a variety of peripherals, just like the good old days. One player takes the absolute cake for being the most dedicated player of all, with a shocking display of potassium power. Fortnite Festival player goes bananas on the sticks Shared to the FortNiteBR Reddit, user ra_che_blu showed their hardcore Festival setup. Using four bananas in a jerry-rigged setup akin to the potato electricity science project, they tap the bananas to the grove of Mr. Brightside by The Killers. It’s quite an impressive feat, one that you have to see to believe. A few weeks ago, Fortnite tweeted out a series of missing persons memos for Peely, the well-known banana character. It seems like players have found him with one reply to the above video saying: “So that’s where Peely went.” Banana gaming isn’t as uncommon as you’d think, as players have figured out how to hardwire the fruit to play games. One YouTuber did a charity stream playing Dark Souls 3 using eight bananas, with great results. Here’s hoping this player hooks up a few extra bananas and plays Fortnite Festival on the harder difficulties.

Fortnite player gets “petty” revenge on teammate stealing Mythic loot – Dexerto
Fortnite player gets “petty” revenge on teammate stealing Mythic loot Epic GamesA Fortnite player took some petty revenge on their teammate after they stole their Mythic loot in a match. Here’s what went down. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is coming to an end, and gamers are rushing to complete their current Battle Pass by dominating the queue with formidable weaponry. Whether it’s a Ballistic Shield or the powerful Reaper Sniper Rifle, players may customize their weapons by applying weapon mods during a Battle Royale match to dominate their way to the coveted Victory Royale. Among the current loot pool, Mythic weapons are in high demand because they can only be obtained by beating a Society boss on the island. While wiping out the whole lobby, gamers have mostly used the Mythic Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Mythic Striker AR, and other similar weapons in their arsenal. However, one Fortnite player took petty revenge on a teammate who stole their Mythic loot at a boss POI. Here’s how everything went down. Fortnite player gets revenge on teammate who stole their Mythic loot A Reddit user named Curious_Ad2169 posted a video clip to the FortniteBR subreddit in which they exacted some petty retribution on their downed buddy. In the video, the player is facing the Montague boss and Legion Guards at the Grand Glacier POI as a team member is downed in the crossfire. When the player eliminated the Montague boss, the downed teammate swiftly looted the Mythic Enforcer AR and the Society Medallion. Instead of healing the downed team member, the user continued to fire at the guards and carried their buddy outside the POI on their back. On the voice chat, the downed buddy began screaming and begging the user to revive him, even promising to return the Mythic loot. Despite their persuading efforts, the user let their friend be eliminated before picking up their Mythic loot as a form of petty retaliation. Looking at the hilarious incident one player said, “100% deserved lol. That pause and the throw out of the window were hilarious and so satisfying.” Another chimed in, “I would have done the same bro. Grabbing everything is just being greedy asf.”

Fortnite player gifted win over cheaters in bizarre final circle showdown – Dexerto
Fortnite player gifted win over cheaters in bizarre final circle showdown Epic GamesA Fortnite player’s incredible win against a team of cheaters after some divine intervention has impressed the battle royale community. Fortnite has undergone quite the resurgence lately ever since it made the decision to implement a mode without any building. Lo and behold, less is sometimes more. However, the newfound popularity of the title has resulted in some cheaters getting up to old tricks by teaming in solos, much to the chagrin of anyone wanting to play fair and win legitimately. For Redittor ‘theMightyPanda27,’ this problem was almost too much to deal with, but some luck from above was enough to help secure the W in a thrilling climax in the final circle. Divine intervention helps Fortnite player overcome cheaters With only three players remaining in final circle, theMightyPanda found themself in quite the predicament, as their foes were working together, which is a big no-no in solos. After landing some shots on one of the remaining opponents and taking cover, our hero’s back was against the wall as the two threats came marching closer. Just as theMightyPanda peeked behind cover to engage once more, bolts of lightning flashed from the sky as the banhammer eliminated the two cheaters in one fell swoop. “I had to open the map to double check I was actually in Solos,” the Redditor revealed, and explained how the two teamsters were not permanently banned. “They are given a warning for teaming and repeated kicks can lead to an actual ban I hope.” According to the player, after checking the replay, both cheaters were together the entire match, constantly healing each other and sharing loot. The clip earned a lot of praise on Reddit, amassing over 5,000 upvotes on the site, proving once again that players love to see cheaters get what’s coming to them.

Fortnite player flexes super rare Xbox game disc – Dexerto
Fortnite player flexes super rare Xbox game disc Epic Games/XboxA Fortnite player has gone viral on social media for flexing their super rare game disc for an Xbox console. Here’s what other players had to say about it. As a staple of the Battle Royale genre, Fortnite has been growing in popularity since its 2017 debut. Players have shown their undying devotion to the live service game across its many seasons, chapters, and live events. The game was first released on PC and later ported to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. However, the port was done using paid game discs that included a cosmetic add-on and V-Bucks. The game didn’t launch digitally on console stores until mid-2018, in contrast to its free-to-play model. As the majority of gamers have already played the game digitally on a console or PC, finding someone with the original game disc is quite rare. These discs are now considered super rare and no longer sold in stores. Now, one user’s flex of the game disc has gone viral, and the player base has spoken out about it. Fortnite player goes viral for flexing Xbox One game disc An X user recently shared a picture of a Fortnite game disc for an Xbox One console that dates back to 2018 and wrote, “The biggest flex is owning Fortnite on disc.” The comment refers to the absurdity around a free-to-play online game that was initially launched on a disc and how it is quite rare around the community. Looking at the photo, several Fortnite players posted pictures of their game discs on Xbox and a PS4. Notably, some consider such discs valuable collectible items and have their own thoughts about them. One such player said, “My biggest regret (but not really) was not getting Fortnite on disc when it first came out. I saw the physical copy in my GameStop tons of times and never bought it.” Another chimed in, “I rather have it downloaded from the App Store. Isn’t it slower on disk?” A third user commented, “The deep freeze bundle goes unfathomably hard in physical form.” A fourth person replied, “Bro you paid for a disc to a free game.” While rare finds like these are plenty around the Fortnite community, the game also consists of some of the rarest skins that players are always on the lookout for.

Fortnite player finds out the hard way that TMNT skins were released – Dexerto
Fortnite player finds out the hard way that TMNT skins were released Epic Games, Twitter: Prime VideoA Fortnite player has shared a hilarious clip of them finding out the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles skins were released in the most brutal way possible. The Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles have finally been released into the world of Fortnite. With the game’s ever-impressive back catalog of IP crossovers, it was only a matter of time before the beloved reptile lads joined the fray. All four of the Ninja Turtles have made the jump to the game, so no matter if you were a Mikey, Raph, Donny or Leo kid, you can represent your favorite. Or better yet, you can get a team of four together and run around roleplaying as the whole team. Players have known these beloved heroes were coming for a while, but one got a particularly rude awakening. If they weren’t sure the skins had been released, they sure were now. Be wary of roaming Turtle gangs In a Reddit post that has garnered over 6.1k upvotes, user ItsThatGoatBoy shared a video titled “This is how I found out that the TMNT bundle released.” It shows them in the final showdown of a Battle Royale game as the last player alive on their team. However, things quickly deteriorate as they find themselves swarmed by Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael, all swinging their weapons into them. To the poster’s credit, they didn’t change to a weapon and instead decided to try and take on the entire gang with just their pick-axe. It doesn’t take long for them to succumb to the vicious attack though, allowing the turtles to take the W in the most hilarious way possible. Fortnite is great for moments like this. The Battle Royale sandbox mixed with Fortnite’s impressive licensing might can blend together into silly, IP-ridden brawls like this. Here’s hoping that for everyone waiting for the turtles to join the game, it’s been worth it – and you have bodacious times like these ahead of you.

Fortnite player finds perfect strategy to win “every game” in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite player finds perfect strategy to win “every game” in Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesA Fortnite player has revealed an easy and ingenious method to win Battle Royale matches and get Victory Royales in Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite has unleashed its Greek Mythology-focused Chapter 5 Season 2 update with many new additions. Epic has introduced a whole new Battle Pass, skins, NPCs, weapons and even an array of Greek gods onto the map for their Myths and Mortals season. As with the start of every Fortnite season, players have been tirelessly trying to figure out all the best meta weapons and methods they can use to rack up eliminations and get those Victory Royales in the game. Now, one player has discovered and broken down their perfect strategy to win “every game” in Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite player discovers genius method to easily win BR matches Fortnite creator Aussie Antics has revealed a brand-new strategy to kick off Season 2 using some of its Greek god additions. They stated: “New strategy to win every single game of Fortnite.” The player explained: “There is now an unbeatable strategy to win every game of Fortnite using the new wings.” They referred to the newly added Wings of Icarus, which lets you instantly fly up into the skies, but they do have a 300 charge limit, similar to fuel for vehicles. “Every time you switch from your wings to another item you get a small boost. Players have now realized you can do this infinitely and never lose charge of the wing and you can fly for the entire end game. “All you got to do is then carry some meds to win the heal off and you are guaranteed victory in every single game, including tournaments.” They ended by stating that “if you carry Zeus’s Mythic you can even throw down lightning bolts and get free kills because you can fly so high for as long as you want. No one can shoot you. There is literally no way to beat this strategy.” Exploiting Season 2’s Wings of Icarus and Thunderbolt of Zeus has presented itself as a key method to get those early Victory Royales at the start of this season. However, it does have its faults in regard to the wings. The Wings of Icarus’ main weakness besides the charge is that players can shoot them down fairly easily due to the size of the wings and larger hitboxes. Therefore, if you attempt this method, make sure to stay as high as you can be, especially for the last few storm circles. Epic has already nerfed the Wings of Icarus shortly after they launched as the item proved to be too OP, which led to them making it harder to dive bomb on enemies. So, if you’re looking to start off Chapter 5 Season 2 hot and get those Victory Royales, then make sure you use this genius method before the Wings of Icarus get patched even further or players catch on.

Fortnite player finds out OP meta to dodge Lock-On Pistol in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite player finds out OP meta to dodge Lock-On Pistol in Chapter 5 Epic GamesA Fortnite player has found the perfect OP item to dodge Lock-On Pistol shots in Chapter 5 Season 1 and it’s genius. Here’s how it works. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 offers a wide variety of weaponry, and with the help of weapon mods, you may modify the basic loot pool to fit your play style. The season has altered players’ use of weaponry significantly, whether it’s utilizing Snipers to quickly scope a nearby opponent or a shotgun to deal damage from a distance. Similarly, players have access to new weapon unvaults every week, expanding their options for creating optimal loadout. With the January 9th, 2024 hotfix, the Lock-On Pistol was one of the weapons that returned. The weapon’s signature hitscan feature allows it to quickly lock onto enemies from a distance and unleash a barrage of burst shots, each one dealing around 25 damage. Despite the weapon’s status as the game’s official aimbot, a player has discovered a powerful meta that greatly improves your ability to dodge those shots this season. Fortnite player discovers Ballistic Shield as the perfect meta to dodge Lock-On Pistol shots A Reddit user named wizard680 shared a clip of their Fortnite gameplay as they used a Lock-On Pistol at an opponent carrying a Ballistic Shield. In the clip, the user is approximately 20 mts away from their opponent as they try to lock onto them using their weapon. Turns out the pistol cannot lock on an enemy carrying a Ballistic Shield as it stops the auto-aim feature of the weapon. While the user managed to grab the win, they had to resort to other methods to get around the shield and eliminate the opponent. The user then wrote in the thread explaining the scenario and said, “So after five hours I finally got another chance to try the lock on pistol against the riot shield. Because the pistol cannot see the player, the pistol cannot lock onto the shield. So the gun is literally useless when faced against the shield.” Several players looking at the perfect meta to counter the aimbot weapon turned in their comments. One such user said, “It’s really dumb how the new weapons they put into the game or returning ones like lock on are just absolutely trash compared to the current “meta”, both casual and competitive.” Another chimed in, “Of course. Another reason why the shield ruined the game.” A third user commented, “New stealth technology dropped.” While the Ballistic Shield has been called indestructible by Chapter 5 Season 1 players, we’ve got the perfect method for you right here to counter the Fortnite item.

Fortnite player explains exactly how to hit perfect snipes everytime – Dexerto
Fortnite player explains exactly how to hit perfect snipes everytime Epic GamesA Fortnite player has cleverly explained how to hit perfect sniper shots almost every time. Here’s how they laid the pro tip out to others. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has been full of action and intense gameplay as the loot pool and mechanics have significantly changed. The new weapon mods system has allowed players to modify their weapons according to their preference and playstyle during a Battle Royale match. Whether attaching a Red Dot on a Shotgun or a 4x Scope to an Enforcer AR, players are getting creative with their weapon builds to be the last man standing and claim the coveted Victory Royale. Snipers have been a hot topic of conversation among all the weapons this season due to their overpowered abilities and damage. While the Snipers can now be used with smaller or no scope, players still rely on a 4x optic that gives them the optimal view to hit a perfect shot. One such player has shared his wisdom on how to hit perfect snipes every time. Fortnite player explains Sniper crosshair to hit perfect shots A Reddit user named Unreal-Memes has shared a hot tip for players who are constantly missing their sniper shots. They went on to explain how the 4x optic on a Sniper Rifle actually works in the game. They said, “If you’re wondering why you’re missing so many snipes, here’s a small guide for you. The middle + is for anything > In the image above, they displayed how the second line down on the crosshair is perfect for shots at targets within 100 m, the third for within 175 m, the fourth for within 225 m, and finally, the fifth line for targets within 300 m. Anything below that is beyond 300 m and is mostly used for shots with a bullet drop impact. Upon seeing this ingenious trick, several players had their own opinions and one such player said, “Technically the + should be dialed at 100m.” Another chimed in, “You can use the map markers to measure the distance just in case.” A third added, “This is insanely helpful maybe now I can snipe.” A fourth user commented, “This is useful in games where you’re actually sniping, as in trying to hit stationary targets. In Fortnite, sniping anything moving at 200-300 m is almost pure luck if it’s a headshot, and hitting anything from 0-100 meters is so easy that you barely need to lead at all.”

Fortnite player finds crazy hidden Midas skin interactions with NPCs – Dexerto
Fortnite player finds crazy hidden Midas skin interactions with NPCs Epic GamesOne Fortnite player was shocked after discovering the hidden dialogue between Midas and the Battle Royale NPCs. The new Ascendant Midas skin has some pretty awesome hidden interactions with NPCs across the map as the evil villain cursed with Golden Touch returns to Fortnite. One player was completely stunned after discovering the interactions when the Midas outfit was equipped and shared screenshots to social media of each unique piece of dialogue. The Midas outfit, which can be obtained through the item shop along with a Midas back bling and pickaxe, unlocked some pretty hilarious lines from some NPCs, like Meowscles who responded nonchalantly to seeing their boss once again: “Good to see you, boss. Give me a skritch for old time’s sake?” they said. Some of the other new dialogue surprised players, like Marigold’s conversation with Midas: “I can’t believe you named a boat after me,” she said. Some players were especially surprised by this and immediately wanted to know more about the in-depth relationship between the two characters. “I need them to explain the connection between Midas and Marigold now ffs,” one fan pleaded. Still, while the return of Midas blew away some fans, others were still studying the new mythics that arrived with Chapter 5 Season 2, leading to the discovery that the Chains of Hades can even drag players from moving vehicles.

Fortnite player discovers you can bring back “old movement” by using new weapon – Dexerto
Fortnite player discovers you can bring back “old movement” by using new weapon Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has shown how you can use the classic movement mechanics by equipping the unvaulted Anvil Launcher. Fortnite’s mid-season update has unleashed a fresh wave of content additions and tweaks to the game for Chapter 5 Season 1. The V28.10 hotfix from Epic Games has centered around Solid Snake finally arriving. The Metal Gear Solid collab has included two iconic MGS skins, quests, two Mythic items and even Snake as an NPC. However, it’s the new weapon of the Anvil Launcher that has caught attention online after one player revealed how, by simply equipping it during your match, you can use classic movement mechanics. Fortnite player reveals Anvil Launcher uses classic movement Fortnite player VesselNBA revealed a clip of their discovery. It showed that “you can get the old movement back when holding the lock on RPG,” which refers to the newly added Anvil Launcher. Much like a large portion of OG players in the community, the player further stated: “let me just say this… it looks far better.” Players praised them, but others instead slammed them, which caused a divide: “Holy sh*t. This is the difference people have lost sleep over? I’ve never paid attention side by side.” One added: “Few people with brains complained about the animations, the real issue was the mechanical movement time.” While another admitted: “I like the old movement better, but I’m used to the new one now, but I wouldn’t mind getting the old back.” When the movement was originally overhauled at the start of Chapter 5, various creators and players called it out for being “too slow and janky.” However, as time goes on, a growing number of players have become more used to the new mechanics implemented. Since introducing the changes, Epic Games has also vastly improved Fortnite’s movement physics and fixed various bugs through further updates and tweaks.

Fortnite player drops from Diamond rank to Silver after losing one match – Dexerto
Fortnite player drops from Diamond rank to Silver after losing one match Epic GamesA Fortnite player dropped from Diamond to Silver after losing 917% in a ranked match for allegedly playing with a cheater. Even with Epic Games’ anti-cheat system, there are still players who are ruining the experience for others. Between wall-hacks, aim assists, and more there are numerous ways for cheaters to gain an advantage. Unlike other competitive titles like Valorant, cheaters are not always kicked from the game when caught. Which can lead to situations where punishment comes after the game has concluded. Players who opt for fill when queuing up may unknowingly encounter cheaters joining their team. Something that one Reddit user claims they fell victim to. Fortnite cheater ruins teammate’s rank A post was made on the Fortnite Reddit asking how they could have lost almost 1000% in just one ranked game. This was accompanied by a screenshot of their post-match screen which confirmed their claim. Commenters were quick to respond with what was allegedly the issue – the Redditor had been playing with a cheater. To add to this theory, they asked the poster if they had gotten a warning about playing with a cheater. “Yes I did get a warning too and I haven’t played with any cheaters,” said the poster. “I’m sure my friends aren’t cheaters but I did play in a duo fill.” Other players did sympathize with the poster for dropping down several levels. However, they assured them that playing in lower ranks would allow them to make the climb back up once again. “Well if you’re a diamond player you’ll have a lot more fun stomping lower lobbies until you rank back up pretty quickly,” said one commenter. “Don’t worry too much you’ll be back in diamond in a flash.” Epic Games has dealt with cheaters in the past but there isn’t much known about the punishment that unsuspecting players may face. Through filling, players could easily be matched up with cheaters which could result in drastic punishments like this.

Fortnite player discovers unfortunate vault glitch – Dexerto
Fortnite player discovers unfortunate vault glitch FortniteA Fortnite player unexpectedly uncovers a glitch using cars that takes vault camping to a new level. There has been a new wave of vault campers since Fortnite re-introduced them during Chapter 5 Season 1. What once was a great opportunity to upgrade weapons has turned into a coin-flip trap, with players doing whatever possible to catch enemies off guard. Vaults can only be opened by defeating the boss at a point of interest on the map. When defeated, bosses drop keycards or medallions, which allow entry to the locked vaults. These vaults have become the perfect place for players to camp around and attack players who have successfully defeated the bosses and wish to get inside. However, a new glitch has revealed an alternative way to get into the vaults without defeating the boss. Cars can grant access to Fortnite vaults A Redditor shared a video showing their attempt to enter a vault after defeating a boss and obtaining a medallion, only to discover multiple enemies already inside. The poster questioned how the players could get inside, only to discover it was thanks to an annoying glitch. “Probably another vault glitch,” said one commenter. “There was one a while ago that let you drive a car in there without opening it.” This comment had the most likes under the post, with multiple other users agreeing that it was most likely the cause. To support this case, the end of the clip shows one of the poster’s teammates running into a car outside the vault. “If you ever approach a vault and a vehicle is parked right next to or in front of it, avoid it,” said another user. “More than likely, someone glitched their way in with said vehicle.” There is no telling how long this glitch has been available in the game or if there will be a patch that addresses this issue. Epic Games has not made any statements regarding the glitch, meaning that vaults will continue to be a hot spot for campers.
