  • Fortnite player discovers new “toxic” emote in-game – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers new “toxic” emote in-game Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has shared their discovery regarding a new emote that can be used in a “toxic” way in the game. From pulling off the Griddy after eliminating someone to spamming the infamous Laugh it Up emote, Fortnite has its share of toxicity in the game. Though as a Battle Royale genre where you can play solo, it’s arguably not as bad as other multiplayer titles. Still, that doesn’t stop some players from coming up with the most toxic combos from the game’s seemingly endless cosmetic options. Recently, Fortnite has introduced a new Lady Gaga collab to the game as the main spotlight for Fortnite Festival Season 2. And already a player has found a way to use one of the new emotes from the collab in a toxic way. In a clip posted on X, one player claimed they found the newest “toxic” emote in the game. As it turns out, that emote is none other than the Kindness Punk emote, which can be unlocked from the Festival Pass. For the uninitiated, this emote features the Stupid Love song from Lady Gaga. When used, it starts during the song’s “stupid love” part. In the clip attached to the post, the player was seen spamming the first part of the emote using animation cancel, which ends up repeating the word “stupid” over and over. This was done right after they secured a Victory Royale by eliminating their opponent. Since this discovery was first posted, it has garnered quite the attention of other players. Some players claimed this was “cringe” and “mean,” but there were also others who admitted to wanting to purchase the Festival Pass solely because of this clip. Meanwhile, some players pointed out that there are other more toxic emotes than this. “Use the Free Guy emote but cancel it after the ‘don’t have a good day’ part that is the most toxic in my opinion,” one person wrote.

  • Fortnite player discovers perfect trick to easily bait out opponents by using emotes – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers perfect trick to easily bait out opponents by using emotes A new trick has been discovered in Fortnite Battle Royale that allows players to easily bait out opponents that may be hiding behind cover. The method, posted on Reddit by user ‘Geerzy,’ involves the use of an emote, preferably one that features some sort of music and dance. This trick works best against enemy players that are hiding within the confines of a box they’ve built around themselves, also known as “turtling.” When you notice somebody in that type of situation, approach one of the walls of the structure and activate your emote, which will cause your character to begin dancing to some loud music. One important thing to make sure of prior to emoting is that you have selected a the shotgun of your choice that you will use to blast the enemy player once he reveals himself on your screen. Once you begin emoting, the hiding player will more often than not be lured into a false sense of thinking that they could edit a window into their wall and shoot you before you can stop the emote and shoot back. What most players don’t know, and what is perhaps the most crucial aspect of this trick, is that a player who is emoting can immediately take a shot with the weapon they had selected prior as long as they quickly aim down sights before the shot. That is not the case, however, for the player who is editing in the window, because there is a slight but noticeable delay that occurs when players switch from the building interface to their weapon. This means that, as long as your reactions are fast enough, you are guaranteed to get a shot off through the window faster than the player who just edited it in, which should be good enough to get the elimination at close range. There are some important details worth paying attention to, such as the need to build your own box prior to emoting to ensure that no third party player can shoot your from the side or back. This trick also serves as a good lesson for players in a box to not be too aggressive when an enemy player is trying to bait them out. Remember, the emoting player will always get the shot off faster than the one editing.

  • Fortnite player discovers missing feature to change Festival notes speed – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers missing feature to change Festival notes speed Epic GamesA Fortnite player has discovered a highly useful feature that changes the speed of falling notes in Festival game mode. Here’s how it works and how fans reacted to the same. 2023 was a fantastic year for Fortnite. Starting with Season OG, Epic Games took players right back to Chapter 1, introduced three new games to the Fortnite ecosystem later, and tweaked the game with new movement mechanics and features like a UI overhaul. As an enjoyable distraction from the nail-biting action of Battle Royale, users love LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival modes. Among those, Harmonix, makers of Guitar Hero, have released Fortnite Festival, a musical game in which players take on the role of a singer, guitarist, bassist, or drummer and compete to earn five stars by matching musical notes. Although each song in Festival mode has four different difficulty settings, some players have complained about the inability to keep up with the incredibly fast tempos of higher levels. The good news is that one player has figured out how to adjust the tempo of falling notes for every song in the game mode. Fortnite player shows how to change notes speed in Festival mode A user named Bee has shared a video clip of themselves on X, chilling in the backstage of Fortnite Festival where they reveal the interesting feature at hand. They address Fortnite Festival players who are unaware of a game setting that allows them to change the speed of falling notes for each song. According to Bee, you must first head to the Settings Menu from the sidebar, then navigate to the Game tab denoted by a gear icon. Once there, scroll down or snap to the Festival mode settings. Under Festival, you’ll see an option called Track Speed with an adjustable slider. You can either decrease or increase the slider value to make your notes fall slower or faster than usual. This is similar to the adjustable tempo settings in Festival Jam mode. Upon discovering the feature in Festival Main Stage, players expressed their amusement and shared their thoughts on the same. One such player commented, “Been playing on 2x since release, how did people not know this?” Another chimed in, “I’ve done it already and it’s way more fun on 1.5x.” When asked how it works, a user pointed out and said, “It doesn’t change the speed of the song. It spaces the notes out more and makes them come at you faster, so they still hit at the same time.” While Festival might not be the most popular game mode among the three, check out our review of LEGO Fortnite and other coverage about Fortnite right here at Dexerto.

  • Fortnite player discovers hidden secret that could hint at Season 6 theme – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers hidden secret that could hint at Season 6 theme Epic GamesEverything is falling in place for some Fortnite players who think they have a beat on the Season 6 theme, which could include the return of ‘Kevin’ the Cube. [jwplayer Mx6o4MA0] The Fortnite island hasn’t seen Kevin since 2018 back on the first map, but there are some who are still holding out for its return. Now there’s been rumblings since its last appearance, but nothing’s ever resulted in its return. But with a new season comes renewed hopes, especially for people like user ‘duskyxlops’ who mapped out the portal locations we’ve had so far. With plenty of time left in Season 5, players are counting down to the last portal locations to appear on the map to feed the fires of speculation even further. Seven portal locations on the map were marked and connected by duskyxlops, who thinks they’re onto something. With a bit of wishful thinking, the locations of the portals line up to create what kind of looks like a cube. “So far the portal locations are forming a cube,” duskyxlops pointed out. “Just like the runes Kevin imprinted on the map in Season 5 Chapter 1– Two are unreleased.” Read more: Rare Mythic Goldfish appears in Arena Mode – This immediately sparked even more theories of how the cube could once again stroll along the Fortnite island. “There’s sounds in the files for mechanical door opening sounds. The redacted bunker, Kevin the cube. Those two Spots lineup. Kevin is in the redacted bunker, I’m calling it,” user ‘TonyThePapyrus’ said. And more people are starting to buy in. “Wait Omg season 4 was superheroes in both chapters, season 5 added a desert in both chapters, and now it looks like we’ll have Kevin in both chapters season 6,” user ‘RileyRobinn’ pointed out. As for Season 6’s theme, duskyxlops thinks there’s catastrophe on the horizon, saying: “Dark energy might corrupt the portals and make corrupted zones next season.” Read more: Fortnite may add new Thanos skin soon – There’s a ton of similarities that the Fortnite community are making to Chapter 1 Season 6’s ‘Darkness Rises’ and the upcoming Chapter 2 Season 6 possibilities, and it might not be long before we find out for sure.

  • Fortnite player discovers “insane” trick to make cars fly – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers “insane” trick to make cars fly Epic GamesOne Fortnite player revealed a trick they had found using Slurp Barrels that can make cars fly When Fortnite was released there were no vehicles in the game, and players were forced to traverse the map on foot. But, many things have changed since Fortnite’s release, including things that Epic Games themselves probably didn’t even foresee, like collaborations with tons of massively popular brands like Dragon Ball and Family Guy. Vehicles were no exception, and there has been a load of different options for players to choose for traveling the map in or on throughout the five chapters. At one point Epic Games even added planes that players used to fly in Fortnite with, but unfortunately, that’s no longer possible. Or is it? Fortnite fan reveals trick to send cars into the sky One player couldn’t contain their surprise and shared an ingenious trick that players can use to make their cars fly. “Slurp barrels made our cars fly!” they exclaimed. The player shared a clip of them driving into a damaged Slurp Barrel that would consequently explode and send the player and the car zooming up and into the air. “Damage the barrel to about 40hp, then put a gas can on the hood of the car. Drive away until the Gas Can disappears, then drive back and boost into the barrel,” they explained. Other Fortnite fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing. “I HAVE to try this next time I play LMAO,” said one entertained fan. “Hopping on the game just to do just this lol,” agreed another. However, this isn’t the only vehicle-related topic to get players excited, as the Driftboard returned to Fortnite with the TMNT event.

  • Fortnite player discovers controller bug that’s causing weapons to shoot on their own – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers controller bug that’s causing weapons to shoot on their own There is a bug in Fortnite Battle Royale that is hampering the gaming experience for those who play using a controller. The bug in question is one that causes players’ weapons to fire on their own without the player pressing the shoot button at any point. This issue seems to flare up when a player quickly switches from the building interface to a weapon or pickaxe in their inventory. Reddit user ‘nNived’ brought this issue to light in a video he posted on December 26, which shows his game consistently glitching out every time he switches from his builds to a weapon or pickaxe. In his video, he displays a controller simulator directly on the screen that shows exactly which buttons he is pressing at any point in time, which clearly shows his weapons being fired without him touching the shooting button. As shown in the video, the bug forces all weapons in the inventory to auto-fire when switched to, which he demonstrates by switching from his shotgun to his pickaxe to his SMG, all of which begin shooting until he eventually causes it to stop. It appears that the only way to stop this glitch is to press the shoot button once the auto firing begins. While this may work to stop automatic weapons like SMGs from continuing to fire, it will do nothing to prevent single fire weapons like shotguns or launchers from firing off their single shot. This then obviously presents an issue on multiple levels for controller players, as it causes them to waste unnecessary ammo, give away their position, and potentially inflict damage to their own health and builds if switching to a launcher type weapon. The Fortnite Community Trello page currently lists an issue similar to this one, titled “auto shooting when using a gamepad.” However, the description indicates that a player must switch to trap first then a weapon to cause the auto firing, which is certainly not the case in the video above. If this is a totally different issue, then it has not yet been officially acknowledged by Epic Games, which could spell bad news for players since it is not yet being investigated and a fix is not being developed.

  • Fortnite player discovers “crazy” secret reboot trick that can carry matches – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers “crazy” secret reboot trick that can carry matches Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has shared an interesting discovery regarding a reboot trick that can possibly turn the tide of the match. If you’ve been playing Fortnite for a while now, chances are you know that rebooting someone in the game is a matter of life and death in most situations. Though sometimes, you can get lucky and bring your friends back unnoticed. But it goes without saying that heading to a Reboot Van is a risky move in the first place, regardless of where you are on the map. All thanks to its extremely loud noise, which gives away your position during the reboot progress. However, one Fortnite player has discovered a reboot trick that lets you save your teammates in the craziest way possible. And perhaps, it could be a viable option for those who love to cause chaos. A user on Reddit has discovered that it’s possible to steal the reboot progress from an enemy, as shown in the clip they posted. In the clip, the player used a Shockwave Grenade to launch themselves in the air and dive into an unsuspecting enemy who’s in the middle of rebooting someone. After successfully landing on top of a Reboot Van and eliminating the enemy, they attempted to use the van to reboot their squad members. Much to their surprise, instead of starting from zero, the reboot progress picked up from where the previous enemy left. This discovery, of course, has shocked many other players who were unaware of this. In the comments, one user wrote, “YOU CAN DO. WHAT.” “Just when you think you know how this game works, then…” said another. On the other hand, one person couldn’t help but wonder, “Imagine you rebooted the enemies, though?” to which another replied, “I laughed.” That said, some players were not too surprised with this discovery, claiming that this was added at the start of this chapter. One person wrote, “They mentioned it at the start of chapter patch notes but I noticed a lot of people missed it.”

  • Fortnite player discovers brutal counter to Armor of Doom and it isn’t a weapon – Dexerto

Fortnite player discovers brutal counter to Armor of Doom and it isn’t a weapon Epic GamesOne Fortnite match during the Absolute Doom season revealed a merciless counter to the overpowered Armor of Doom item. When Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 started, players enjoyed the superhero mythics added back to the loot pool. These included War Machine’s Arsenal, Captain America’s Shield, and Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets. However, Epic nerfed the loot pool significantly as the season went on. Eventually, players began discovering ways to counter these powerful mythics, prompting them to opt for a more well-rounded selection of loot to increase their chances of victory. However, one legendary item continued to be challenging to counter: the Armor of Doom. Luckily, one player found a brutal counter to Armor of Doom and shared their experience on the FortniteBR subreddit. The user named PronTron shared a clip where they claimed the Isle of Doom while in a 5-tick storm and transforming into Doom’s Chosen. Soon, they realized they were being hit by 25 tick damage instead of five, so by the time PronTron was gliding down to get inside the safe zone, they ended up being eliminated by storm damage. While sharing the clip the user said, “Dying during the Doom transformation feels bad.” The mythic only has a 5% spawn rate in the Isle of Doom landmark and grants players actual powers of Doctor Doom with 1,000 health and invincibility factor which leads to a sweet “Victory Von Doom” if you manage to get it. The clip drew the attention of several players who questioned the affected tick damage to those wearing Armor of Doom versus the regular loopers in a match. One simply slammed the user, saying “F***ing around in the storm this late in the game is dumb though. OP got himself killed.” The majority of players also lambasted the egregiously long animation when a looper claims the Armor of Doom, saying it was the reason PronTron was eliminated in the first place. Regardless, after a small weekend buff to the Isle of Doom, spawn rates have returned to normal. However, Epic has hinted that the same buff structure may return in the coming weeks.

  • Fortnite player creates RPG style map that looks just like Skyrim – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates RPG style map that looks just like Skyrim Bethesda/Epic GamesA Fortnite player has created an open-world map inspired by the popular RPG game Skyrim. Here’s how the player community reacted to an RPG-style Fortnite island. Fortnite Season OG has evoked a flood of nostalgia for the fanbase that had originally explored the game in Chapter 1. With a record-breaking increase in peak player count, this season witnessed the return of the classic loot pool and OG island, along with new gameplay mechanics. Every week, the map has changed with a typical Chapter 1 season, adding or removing features like Tilted Towers, Frosty Flights, the Zero Point, and Kevin The Cube. Now that players eagerly await the Chapter 4 live event, an RPG-style open-world map of Fortnite has been created by an avid player. Fans of Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and other classic open-world role-playing games have commented on how much the map resembles Skyrim. Here’s what it looks like and how fans of both the games reacted to it. Fortnite fan creates open world map inspired by Skyrim A Reddit member by the handle of Kitchen-Bird382 has designed a sprawling open world concept for the Fortnite island. It covers several biomes and POIs from all of Fortnite’s seasons up to this point. Having said that, the creation looks eerily like Skyrim and such role-playing games. Skyrim’s landscape is a mosaic of varied habitats, each with its own personality and set of difficulties, just like the island in Fortnite has been throughout the game’s four chapters and 26 seasons. As soon as they laid eyes on the breathtaking masterpiece, fans of both games were eager to start a discussion in the subreddit. One such fan said, “This would be so awesome in a Skyrim type game but with Fortnite’s graphics and loot. Probably would be my favorite game ever.” Another chimed in, “The fact that this looks like an actual fantasy world map makes me wanna buy it as a poster.” A third commented, “I love how they grouped the POIs together to make proper biomes. The reality tree fits in so well in the MEGA biome and it’s cool seeing how the snow and desert areas mix several Chapters of POIs together.” While there were many Skyrim fans in the comment section, a Zelda fan swooped in with their thoughts by saying, “It’s based off the BOTW (Breath of the Wild) map. The only thing that doesn’t match up is the volcano”.

  • Fortnite player creates amazing new Victory Royale concept everyone wants – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates amazing new Victory Royale concept everyone wants Epic GamesFortnite players have been loving one player’s concept of replacing the classic Victory Royale sequence in the Battle Royale with all-new winning animations for every season. Fortnite’s passionate community has often caused players to create various concepts over the years for different key features in the game. Many of these gain traction across socials and have become heavily demanded by players. These include anything from Item Shop additions, and game mechanic improvements, to custom emotes that everyone wants. This was no different when a player revealed their concept for removing the classic match-winning sequence in the Battle Royale, which, apart from minor changes, has been the same in every season. Instead, they have revealed a visual concept to replace them with brand-new Victory Royale animations for every season. Fortnite player goes viral for dynamic Victory Royale concept Fortnite player and creator Flamin asked: “What if every Fortnite season has its own Victory Royale animation?” This was posted alongside their own concept for Chapter 4 Season 2, which was a season themed around cyberpunk and Tokyo, and included the fan-favorite Mega City POI. The neon sci-fi text and colors used were soon praised by legions of players, as one said: “This is the f*cking coolest idea I’ve seen.” Others dug deeper and spawned further ideas and discussions. One questioned: “Didn’t they used to have this before?” To which players confirmed they were just in LTMs, and one suggested: “I think they were working on this a very long time ago and scrapped it.” Others spawned various ideas to build on the concept. “Would be so cool if it was dependent on what POI you’re in when you win. You get a neon one for Mega City, a jungle one for the Jungle biome,” a player suggested. Despite Epic Games making some huge changes to the game in Chapter 5, as well as a long-awaited UI overhaul at the end of Chapter 4, it remains unknown if they will make any changes to Victory Royales.

  • Fortnite player creates godly Meowscles concept for Chapter 5 Season 2’s pantheon – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates godly Meowscles concept for Chapter 5 Season 2’s pantheon FortniteOne Fortnite player took it upon themselves to create a Mythology skin concept of Meowscles based on an in-game statue. Chapter 5 Season 2 created a theme around Greek mythology. The title “Myths and Mortals”, brought popular gods and goddesses to the game while adding a nod to other characters from previous baffle passes. One of the most popular skins to make a return this season is the Midas skin from Chapter 2. This time around Midas will be remade in a gladiator style. While the addition of Midas excited fans, some are missing Meowscles. So one user made a Greek-themed skin just for him. Fortnite’s Meowcles holds up the world as Atlas A Redditor by the name of 3NUB1S shared three skin concepts for what they’ve titled “Catlas.” With inspiration from the statue that can be found in the game at one of the temples. While many users beneath the post were impressed by the skin’s concept centering around Atlas, some thought there was another mythological creature that the skin would be used for. “Why we haven’t gotten a Sisyphus skin yet is absolutely baffling to me,” said one reply. “This would be perfect. Make his backbling a large yarn ball as well. Sisyphus Meowscles!” Aphrodite, Cerberus, Hades, Artemis, Medusa, and Zeus all got their skins featured in the battle pass. With Ares leaked to be coming as a Fortnite Crew pack in the near future. “I’m also glad I’m not the only one who was hoping that if Epic added this skin, that they would add the Shadow/Ghost version as well like you made here,” applauded one commenter. “Hopefully, someone at Epic sees these and gives us this skin and style” Some fans hoped that Epic Games would take note of the fans’ ideas and attempt to implement them in the game. However, Epic hasn’t made much effort to adapt fan art before. But if they do decide to bring Meowscles into the game, hopefully, it will be based on his in-game statue.

  • Fortnite player creates helpful infographic detailing every edit possibility – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates helpful infographic detailing every edit possibility Epic GamesFortnite’s building mechanic can be a chaotic mess to learn, so a helpful member of the community has created simple guides to help anyone get familiar with the many editing options for structures. Epic Games first released Fortnite with the Save the World mode in July 2017, but soon after released the battle royale component that took the game’s fortification builds and mixed it with the 100-player free-for-all. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, ‘EversorA’ made a simplistic guide to the multiple edits that can be performed to a given structure which served to both educate new players and enlighten seasoned veterans. EversorA’s guide shows what changes can be made to the Wall, Floor, Ramp and Pyramid builds and how to manipulate the blue footprints to get the desired build. The guides contains pictures and descriptions for every allowed combination in the game with the Wall structure having the most customizable options. Read more: How to fix Fortnite’s overpowered Boom Box – New players who want to improve in Fortnite should find these guides invaluable, but even tenured players have found new ideas to add to their arsenal. “I’ve been playing since Season 2 and I’ve never known the ‘small side wall’ existed,” another Redditor said. Initially, EversorA had made the guide for the Wall only, but after an astoundingly positive series of feedback from the community, they went on to create the a complete guide for all structure edit combinations. Although others suggested that a lot of these edits are mostly used in the Save the World game mode, the ingenuity of the fanbase could lead people to soon utilize various edits in the battle royale, such as what happened with the once-largely-ignored Pyramid structure.

  • Fortnite player creates Christmas nightmare with Sneaky Snowmando – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates Christmas nightmare with Sneaky Snowmando YouTube: FortniteIt’s the holiday season, and one Fortnite player spreads their cheer nightmarishly, with unlimited Sneaky Snowmandos. Fortnite‘s Chapter 5, Season 1 launched early this December, ushering in a new map, weapon mods, “Handsome Peter Griffin,” and three new modes. There’s a lot of content to digest, but that hasn’t stopped Epic Games from delivering more content with Winterfest returning. Winterfest is the Christmas-themed takeover, introducing a holiday-themed redesign of the island and tons of goodies to uncover. Amongst that, players can find a variety of festive weapons like the Snowball Launcher or the Sneaky Snowmando. One player got their hands on the latter item and turned their lobby into a Christmas nightmare for their foes. Fortnite player celebrates the holidays with unlimited Snowmandos Much like the “Bush” consumable in Fortnite, the Sneaky Snowmando lets players disguise themselves as snowmen and break out for a festive surprise on unsuspecting foes. Shared to the FortNiteBR subreddit, Daiko_ showcases their incredible holiday spirit. In a display of insane coordination, they decorated the Fortnite map with Sneaky Snowmandos, becoming the ultimate Christmas nightmare. Of course, with so many snowmen to inspect, it becomes an otherworldly task to discover who’s real and who’s not. The result is hilarious, as players hopelessly search, while the squad enjoyed every moment of their pain. Funnily enough, Daiko_’s clip is eerily reminiscent of the original reveal of the consumable, back when Fortnite was still in its relevant infancy. As silly as it was, it ultimately paid off, as the final seconds showed the team grabbing a victory royale. Of course, if they didn’t win conventionally, they could’ve won by the good old-fashioned computer/console overload with so many objects on the screen. Many of the comments loved what they saw. The top comment in particular perfectly summarized the experience, with a GIF from The Office’s “Classy Christmas” episode: Comment byu/Daiko_ from discussion inFortNiteBR Nevertheless, be careful of unusual counts of snowmen in your Fortnite lobby. It may just be a clever user with a pocket full of Sneaky Snowmandos.

  • Fortnite player creates amazing Cliffside Cabins location in Creative mode that would be perfect if featured at The Block – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates amazing Cliffside Cabins location in Creative mode that would be perfect if featured at The Block The new Creative mode in Fortnite Battle Royale is a perfect place for players to let their imagination go loose, and one creation has received some high praise after it was posted on Reddit. Reddit user ‘MelancholicKB‘ showed off his new amazing creation called ‘Cliffside Cabins,’ and it certainly already looks good enough to be featured in the actual Fortnite map. The new location features a variety of lodge-style structures built into the the side of an icy cliff not dissimilar from the ones that can be currently found in-game. The location very much has a village theme to it, including a small central area located at the bottom of the cliff that features a clock tower, grand entrance staircase, and a lit Christmas tree. The user toured the new town in a video that was posted on Reddit on December 25, offering a great Christmas gift to the Fortnite Creative community. At first glance, it’s quite obvious that the player spent a lot of time working on this beautiful area, as each of the structures and objects have their own unique design, color scheme, and shape, all of which perfectly fall into one overall village theme. The location is so well-made, in fact, that it’s almost too perfect to have players land and start demolishing things to acquire resources and loot, or have full-fledged gunfights that can wreak havoc across the carefully crafted town. There is good news for all those who would like to see Cliffside Cabins added to Fortnite, and it’s hard to imagine there being anyone who wouldn’t, as it could be next in line to be featured at The Block in the northeast corner of the map. While this location currently may not fit the size specifications of The Block, the creator could make small alterations so that it would, after which it would certainly need to garner major attention across social media to be considered for The Block. However, with snow now covering the entire map, having Cliffside Cabins at The Block would not only make perfect sense, it would also add a beautiful and expertly made location that players are sure to enjoy.

  • Fortnite player creates amazing open world map concept everyone wants – Dexerto

Fortnite player creates amazing open world map concept everyone wants Epic GamesFortnite players have been loving one player’s concept of introducing an expansive open world map into the Battle Royale. Chapter 5 has brought a ton of change to Fortnite with inventive new modes such as LEGO Fortnite, Festival, Rocket Racing, and Reload, setting the precedent for the future. However, this has been a catalyst in the community that has caused players to consistently call for further unique modes to be introduced. One of which was posted on July 2. The Fortnite player xads181 revealed their revised “open world map concept,” based on a similar concept they shared seven months prior. To no surprise, it has quickly gone viral as players flooded in with praise and suggested countless ideas to build off the concept. “Looks awesome, reminds me of Witcher and Skyrim,” a player said, as one added: “Why is the fan base better at making the game than the actual f**king devs.” The excitement from the community led to numerous conversations surrounding what the mode should be if Epic ever implemented the open-world map. Some wanted just a massive Battle Royale version, “Just one map. All players. All platforms. Winner takes all,” a fan stated. In particular, players banded around different ideal player counts, from 200 players, all the way up to 1,000. “This would go hard. Need a higher player count and squad limit, like 6 people in a squad and 250-300 people. Cars and traversals like the guitar or nitro fists would be great here. Snipers would be key I bet,” a player suggested. Another added: “Would make for some fun new tactics. Add in weather and day/night cycles, where both these changes force gear/load out changes on the fly to be successful. Long-range tactics come into play maybe.” Despite the praises, there were some concerns with cheaters and potential issues with the huge map jump. These included talks of “30-hour matches” as another said: “Oh god imagine the patch file size,” while others claimed the Switch wouldn’t handle it: “The Switch will self-destruct in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1.” However, long play-times and other impacts were not scaring others off, “A 2-hour long game for 1 win gonna be amazing,” a user replied. “If there were no cheaters and the servers, as well as people’s computers/consoles could handle that many players. It would be sick as f**k. Winner gets 5 mil,” a seperate player replied. Fortnite map features have been a hot topic since Epic launched their throwback OG Reload mode, which includes its own smaller 40-player BR map and mode. This has led many to call for a “perfect” map feature from Warzone and Apex Legends to be added, while we’ve been divided on the mode.

A new concept enters the fray, and it might be some of the best work from a fan creation to date. Fortnite player creates SpongeBob skinline In a series of images shared to the Fortnite subreddit, AustinTheBear showed their ideas for an in-game SpongeBob concept. The level of detail is outrageous, with beloved characters like Hans the Hand, Gary the Snail, and even SpongeBob’s trusty Krusty Krab spatula leaping off the page. The detail doesn’t stop there, as AustinTheBear shared concepts for LEGO Fornite, Festival, Rocket Racing, and an exceptionally detailed loading screen. “Holy cow, you cooked,” one player said, summarizing the entire comments section. A few players were concerned with the Bubble Buddy player skin due to visual issues. A clever workaround recommended was making SpongeBob buff similar to how Peter Griffin was implemented into Fortnite. Given Fortnite has skins for nearly everything, SpongeBob doesn’t seem as unlikely as it would’ve been during the game’s early stages.

  • Fortnite player counters Armored Wall campers with new “medieval torture” trick – Dexerto

Fortnite player counters Armored Wall campers with new “medieval torture” trick Epic GamesThe new Armored Walls item in Fortnite is giving campers a new favorite hiding spot, but some people have already found a way to penetrate the annoying enclosures. The Fortnite Season 8 patch update introduced the new loot for Supply Boxes and ground items with the Armored Wall as an Uncommon Trap. These will reinforce any build material to give it 2500 HP, something that will take an insane amount of patience and ammo to get through. While these defensive items have many uses, especially in 1v1 build battles, some Fortnite players are opting to default into a metal box to avoid engagements. At least that’s what Reddit user ‘BBUCKLESS’ found in one of their games when an opponent elected to put up four walls and a roof to stay protected. With a while match left to play and about 40 seconds until the next zone, BBUCKLESS got a little creative to smoke out the enclosed player. They found a nearby gas can and threw it to the base of the Armored Wall 1×1, then shot the tank to light up the surrounding area. Even though it only took off 400 HP from the wall, it got a lot more meaningful damage done inside that turned the Armored Walls against its user. Eventually, the player inside went to the opposite corner of the 1×1 box to get away from the flames, but the flames apparently managed to creep to them – leaving them with nowhere to go. “You turned their box into a medieval torture method,” one person said of the trick, while others likened it to the ‘Brazen bull’ contraption that is similar in concept to what the clip showed. While this trick might not always come in handy, it’s certainly an option to explore if an isolated Fortnite player decides to camp inside Armored Walls.

  • Fortnite player conceives idea to bring Jam Tracks to Battle Royale – Dexerto

Fortnite player conceives idea to bring Jam Tracks to Battle Royale Epic GamesA new glider concept has surfaced that brings Fortnite Festival to battle royale by incorporating Jam Tracks. Fortnite expanded its reach by introducing LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. However, there have been only a few instances of crossover between the three modes. There is the ability to play instruments in battle royale as well as transform cars into skins from Rocket Racing. Outside of that, however, the modes are mostly standalone. This concept comes from Reddit where the individual used a mixtape as inspiration for a new glider. This glider would have cassette tape falling out of it which would be where the players hold onto it. In the meantime, the glider’s sound would revolve around Jam Tracks. Players could choose their favorite Jam Track from those they own, and that music would accompany them while using the glider. “I hope this idea gets adopted in some way just because I would love to have this feature in the game.” said the original poster. The other comments echoed the sentiment, suggesting that Jam Tracks could serve an alternative purpose. Especially since each track costs 500 vbucks to purchase. “Using this to subject everyone landing around me to weezer whilst I have copyright music turned off.” joked one user. A majority of the fan base agreed that they would purchase the glider if it actually came to the game. Fortnite has taken ideas from the fan base before for different skins, which means having the glider added could be a possibility.

  • Fortnite player comes up with inventive way to change how dynamite works – Dexerto

Fortnite player comes up with inventive way to change how dynamite works Epic GamesEver since the release of Dynamite in the v6.30 update, Fortnite fans have been brainstorming ways to change the item and one fan has discovered a very different change to the item. Dynamite is one of the latest additions to Fornite, and it’s already making players and streamers upset, so many fans have been calling for the item to be outrighted vaulted or at least toned down. One fan took to Reddit on November 21 to come up with a completely different idea that could greatly change how the item is used. User codyburb posted the idea to the Fortnite subreddit, suggesting that players should be able to shoot and detonate dynamite while it’s in the air or still being primed by an enemy player, the dynamite would explode, and damage whatever or whoever it’s close to. The suggestion is almost exactly how the Dynamite ability of the new Overwatch hero, Ashe, works, she can shoot the bomb while it’s still in the air to detonate, and it damages all enemies in an area. Read More: Everything you need to know about the $1 million ‘Winter Royale’ Fortnite open event – scoring format, rules, schedule, and more – Other users in the comments on Reddit seemed to think the changes would be an improvement to the controversial new item. It’s not clear whether or not Epic has changes coming soon for Dynamite, but they’ve already had to take the new item offline briefly. Epic has certainly used fan suggestions in Fortnite before – like when they included an 8-year-old’s design in the game – so to see some sort of similar change to Dynamite make it into the game wouldn’t be too crazy to imagine.

  • Fortnite player comes up with three genius ideas that would make playing Squads easier and more fun – Dexerto

Fortnite player comes up with three genius ideas that would make playing Squads easier and more fun While playing Squads in Fortnite Battle Royale certainly has its fun side, things can get a lot more difficult when players are randomly filled into a squad together and have no way to properly communicate. Those who play Squad fills will know all too well how frustrating it can be to try and get a Victory Royale without a proper way to coordinate with teammates. However, Reddit user ‘HullCoganFan’ has come up with strong ideas that would resolve all of these annoyances and make the gaming experience of Squads a whole lot better. The first part of his proposal would be add a dedicated team chat wheel to every player’s interface, much like how one exists for doing emotes. This will allow for nonverbal communications to be sent out between teammates a lot more efficiently. This would make it a lot easier for teammates to see each other’s call-outs because it would appear on everyone’s HUD and it would also catch the eye a lot easier than the way the current call-out system is set up.

  • Fortnite player comes up with fantastic idea for how to make pistols more viable and useful – Dexerto

Fortnite player comes up with fantastic idea for how to make pistols more viable and useful epic gamesIt’s no secret that most of the pistol category weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale are some of the most underused and least viable options in the game. There are currently four different pistols in Fortnite – Hand Cannon, Suppressed Pistol, Regular Pistol, and Six Shooter, with a combined total of nine different rarities between. Although the Hand Cannon is considered to be one of the most powerful weapons in the game, the other three don’t even come close to its viability and are rarely seen in players’ inventories in the mid to late game stages. The weapons are simply not powerful and consistent enough to match up against their counterparts in other categories, the Hand Cannon being the only exception due to its high damage potential to both players and structures. However, Reddit user ‘brodie_bos’ has come up with a concept for how those three pistols can be improved and buffed to become much more useful . According to his proposal, a big improvement for both the Suppressed and Regular Pistol would be to reduce bloom and increase the ammo cap to 20. Currently, both the Common and Uncommon rarities of the Regular Pistol, and the Rare and Epic rarities of the Suppressed, have an magazine size of 16, combined with an average damage profile of 25, the potential is just not high enough. As for bloom, which is the RNG system that is used in Fortnite to determine bullet hit registration, reducing it would certainly help make the weapons much more accurate. As for the Six Shooter, the player recommends that it be vaulted outright and that the old Revolver be reinstated into the game. The Revolver was essentially replaced by the Six Shooter during the Fortnitemares Halloween event, but the new weapon has not been very popular among players. However, if the Revolver were to return, the Reddit user proposes less bullet damage drop off, reduced bloom, and for it to be treated as a “weaker Hand Cannon,” in terms of damage potential against structures. Another user, in the comments section, said that the Revolver should essentially return as the Common, Uncommon, and Rare varieties of the Hand Cannon.

  • Fortnite player claims Peter Griffin skin “saved” his parents’ marriage – Dexerto

Fortnite player claims Peter Griffin skin “saved” his parents’ marriage Epic GamesA Fortnite player claims that the newly released Peter Griffin skin saved his parents’ marriage. Here’s more about it and how the community reacted. Players of all ages from around the world have made Fortnite one of the most famous Battle Royale games out there. Marvel superheroes, musical artists like The Weeknd, and other notable celebrities and brands have all collaborated with the Epic Games title in the past. One of the most anticipated collaborations between Fortnite and the popular TV show Family Guy arrived in the most recent Chapter 5 Season 1 with the addition of a ripped Peter Griffin skin in the seasonal Battle Pass. You can also find this character on the map as an NPC boss, and can also get a Society Medallion and a Mythic weapon if you manage to defeat him. Many have praised and criticized the skin, but one Fortnite player even went so far as to say that the collaboration saved their parents’ marriage. Fortnite player thanks Peter Griffin skin for saving his parents’ marriage Sharing their story on Reddit, a user said how Peter Griffin in Fortnite saved their parents’ marriage. The player described the situation and said, “My parents are divorced, and yesterday they were arguing at my dad’s house about whom I would be with next week. This stuff usually happens a lot, so I drown it out by playing Fortnite in the living room.” They continued, “Out of nowhere, my dad goes, “Is that f*****g Peter Griffin in your game?” and I go yeah cuz it is. I was in the lobby as Peter and my dad thought it was funny. My mom started bursting out laughing and they both made fun of the way he looked because he’s not fat in Fortnite.” While the story itself is bittersweet, the player concluded by saying, “The conversation between my parents started to lighten up, and my dad just said my mom can have me Sunday night. I just heard that mom’s coming over to watch the Super Bowl with me and my dad too. It’s so weird that they’re acting nicely with each other, but it’s good.” As the story doesn’t exactly “save the marriage”, one user commented, “Well they’re divorced, so a little too late to save their (first) marriage. Hopefully, everything goes well at the Super Bowl and your parents get back together, though, man! Rooting for y’all.” Another chimed in like Peter and Lois, “‘Petah this is the most reckless thing you’ve done’. ‘Oh cmon what about that time I fixed this guy’s marriage.’” A third user commented on this incident to be a “common Peter W.”

  • Fortnite player claims they’ve found cutest feature in LEGO mode – Dexerto

Fortnite player claims they’ve found cutest feature in LEGO mode Fortnite/LEGOOne Fortnite player discovered an adorable hidden “Sit and Talk” feature in the LEGO mode that the community loved. One popular member of the Fortnite community, iFireMonkey (most known for their leaks), discovered an awesome hidden feature in the LEGO mode when you sit down next to a friend that viewers found unbelievably cute. In the clip shared by the player, after iFireMonkey went to join their seated companion a prompt appeared with the option to “Sit and Talk”. The two LEGO figures then continued to have what looked like a deep conversation, smiling, looking around, and gesturing like people do in real life. The Fortnite community absolutely loved this hidden feature included in the mode by Epic Games, finding it an extremely thoughtful inclusion. Some fans loved it so much that they had even already started planning which characters they wanted to see having an amicable talk together. “Yeah, that is adorable. Gonna make Midas and Skye do this sometime,” they said. “I love this game,” praised another player. However, while it was pretty undeniable how cute the feature was, some players in the community still had some complaints about it: “It’s a very cute option,” admitted one fan “but also it’s very scuffed in a very silly way. It treats the second seated player exactly like a villager which means they’ll automatically exit the bench with no input after around 10-20 seconds,” they complained. Still, even if for some Fortnite players the hidden feature had some slight issues, the community was still grateful that it was in the game in the first place and has hopes that Epic Games will add more cute interactions like this in the future.

  • Fortnite player claims LEGO collab “killed” the Item Shop – Dexerto

Fortnite player claims LEGO collab “killed” the Item Shop Epic GamesFortnite’s Item Shop continues to be a hot topic for fans, and one player feels the LEGO collaboration is at fault. Chapter 5 Season 1 marked a huge milestone in Fortnite, as three new game modes joined the battle royale. One of the new modes is LEGO Fortnite marking yet another massive entity Epic Games has partnered with to bring a new layer to Fortnite. As part of the collaboration, players can now select LEGO versions of some of their skins for use in the previously mentioned mode. That said, some players aren’t fond of the effect LEGO is having in-game, notably with the Item Shop’s rotation as of late. Fortnite player claims LEGO collab killed this season’s Item Shop This season’s Item Shop has been a pain point for Fortnite players, with the game’s forums and socials often obliterating the shop’s selection of items. To add to that, a hotfix deployed earlier this week has removed the Item Shop’s countdown timer, creating a layer of FoMO that fans deemed “unnecessary.” The main criticism comes from the game’s subreddit, where Fortnite player Skull-OWar critically states: “LEGO has single-handedly killed the Item Shop.” They went on: “Notice how the only skins that have been coming out have LEGO versions? Probably some stupid deal Epic made with LEGO that mostly stops them from putting in skins that don’t have LEGO versions.” Skull-OWar was also critical of LEGO Fortnite, saying it feels like a “crappy Minecraft or Terraria clone.” They also pointed out other grievances such as The Weeknd dominating the Item Shop, most likely due to him headlining the Festival mode. Their opinion wasn’t unpopular with players chiming in with similar thoughts. “They completely removed the Daily & Featured tabs and added this sh*tty signature LEGO style tab which only includes the same 30 skins and emotes,” one player stated. Another said: “The community is being very vocal about what they want in the Item Shop and most of the skins that are wanted even have a LEGO version, so I don’t understand what the game plan is at Epic right now.” With the Item Shop seemingly in dire need of changes, here’s hoping Epic Games sees the feedback and acts accordingly.

  • Fortnite player claims one item is the best counter to cars in Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite player claims one item is the best counter to cars in Chapter 5 Season 3 Epic GamesWhile some Fortnite players may think that there is no possible way to counter the Chapter 5 Season 3 meta, others are showing just how easy it is. The introduction of vehicle mods has sent the Fortnite map into a Nitro-fueled frenzy with many games ending in an all-out battle between cars. A meta that has players begging for changes to be made to counter them. However, one user thinks that players need to think outside of the box when it comes to playing against vehicles. All thanks to one item that makes fighting against armored cars easy. Nitro Fists were added to the game when Chapter 5 Season 3 launched on May 24. They were featured in the trailer as a great way to defend against vehicles, but the community has seemingly forgotten that part. One Redditor posted a clip of themselves using the Nitro Fists creatively, throwing cars off the side of the mountain. The clip also showcased how overpowered the fists themselves actually are for hitting not only cars but enemies as well. “People who complain about cars being too strong, that you are doomed without a car in the last circle, that there is no counter to cars, and so on. This might be helpful,” said the OP. Nitro Fists, a pair of dual gauntlets, occupy a full inventory slot when equipped. They are a purple rarity item that can be found in chests or as floor loot across the map. Each set of Nitro Fists has four charges in Fortnite, which can be used to uppercut and slam opponents or launch themselves in any direction. These are great assets when trying to take down a vehicle with a spiked bumper and rocket launcher attached to the top. But, the clip shared by the Redditor did not convince some that the Nitro Fists were the right counter to the vehicles, especially since the cars in the clip did not have one key factor. “Very cool. Thanks for sharing. However, those trucks didn’t have cannons or auto guns blasting away at you. I wonder how well all of this would have worked if they did,” said one commenter. Another pointed out that while the idea was good in theory, they found that not all cars could be pushed as easily as the clip showed. The specific example was for a mythic vehicle, which has vastly different effects than the regular cars scattered around. So the Nitro Fists may be good for some instances but could fail to get you a Victory Royale alone due to the nature of Chapter 5 Season 3.

  • Fortnite player breaks controller in rage after “Wile E. Coyote” style death – Dexerto

Fortnite player breaks controller in rage after “Wile E. Coyote” style death Epic GamesOne Fortnite player ended up smashing their controller after suffering a Wile E. Coyote-style death in a match. Here’s what happened. Fortnite can sometimes be an intense game as players try to battle it out in sweaty Battle Royale lobbies, be it casual, Ranked, or tense FNCS matches. However, the same game mode can produce some hilarious, laughter-inducing moments either playing on your own or with a group of friends. In the past, several such clips have gone viral, such as a friendly banter between DrLupo and Ninja or the tragedy of Chappadoodle with Muselk. Now that Fortnite has entered Chapter 5, the hilarity continues as the player community shares such moments on social media. Recently, one such player smashed their controller in a fit of rage when they suffered a tragic yet hilarious death in the game in the style of Road Runner’s Wile E. Coyote. The player has shared the clip of the incident with the community and it’s one of the most hilarious moments this season. Fortnite player breaks controller over Anvil Launcher mishap in Chapter 5 A Fortnite player named PeterHR0 shared the clip on Reddit where they were left in disbelief by an experience that they felt had to be shared online. In the clip, the player aimed and fired an Anvil Launcher towards an enemy vehicle. Gradually, the player started moving towards the vehicle hoping the enemy would exit it. Turns out, they moved into the drop zone of the launcher’s shot, which directly hit them and caused them to get eliminated, while the enemy survived. While sharing the clip, the player described the aftermath of the incident and said, “My gamepad went to heaven after this clip.” The Fortnite community couldn’t believe what they had witnessed and related the clip to the Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner Looney Tunes show. “Wile E. Coyote plays Fortnite, apparently,” one such player said. “That is some Looney Toon’s Wile E. Coyote s**t right there,” another agreed. One player explained the incident and commented, “It locks onto whatever location it’s aimed at. However, if you try to lock onto a vehicle, there’s a certain amount of time that you need to take before you’re locked onto one. They fired their rocket too fast.”

  • Fortnite player becomes first to beat FaZe Cizzorz’s ‘death run’ obstacle course, and he did it in incredible record time – Dexerto

Fortnite player becomes first to beat FaZe Cizzorz’s ‘death run’ obstacle course, and he did it in incredible record time Many were considering the obstacle course that FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz created in Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Creative mode to be virtually impossible to beat. Featuring nine tough levels full of deadly traps and daunting twists, Cizzor’s parkour course requires players to be at their most precise in terms of in-game movement, reactions, and timing, a task too difficult for anyone to overcome. The course is so difficult that even Cizzors had a hard time passing through some of the levels, despite the fact that he’s the one who designed the whole thing from scratch. However, all of that is in the past now, as one Fortnite player has stunningly managed to overcome all of the difficulties and beat the so-called impossible “death run.” Read More: Brand new Barebones LTM brings CoD’s Hardcore mode to battle royale | 14 Days of Fortnite event – What’s more impressive about his accomplishment is that not only did he become the first to successfully get past all nine levels, he managed to do it in under eight minutes, an astonishing feat. YO HE’S INSANE!!! @suezhoo is confirmed the first and only person to beat my parkour course. Not only that but he beat levels 1-9 in 7 minutes and 45 seconds… 7:45 is the time to beat, you all have until 2019. — FaZe Cizzorz (@cizzorz) December 21, 2018 The player, who goes by ‘suezhoo’ on Twitter, recorded his whole run and posted the video on Twitch, which shows exactly how he managed to beat a course many deemed to hard to pass. Using incredible hand-eye coordination, pristine movement and body angles, and fast reaction time, the suezhoo flew through the course in a manner which would have made any professional speed-runner proud. Watch Cizzorz Deathrun 7:43 from Suezhoo on www.twitch.tvAs for what makes him special enough to beat a course that all others have failed to pass so far, suezhoo admitted in a tweet that he has experience doing obstacle course runs on KZ maps in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Source, which also require a lot of skill to complete. This would explain how he has managed to perfect his movement mechanics with a mouse and keyboard and developed the coordination necessary to complete Cizzorz’s challenge. As a result of this feat, Cizzors is giving everyone until the end of the year to complete the course under the 7:45 mark set by suezhoo, which is very unlikely to happen considering no one else has even beaten it. Regardless, whoever finishes 2018 with the best completion time will receive a cash prize, which currently sits at $1,500, $500 of which was contribute by Team Liquid pro player Vivid after he spent 17 hours trying the course and only managed to get past level five.

  • Fortnite player “bored out of their mind” with CoD style Chapter 5 season – Dexerto

Fortnite player “bored out of their mind” with CoD style Chapter 5 season Epic GamesOne Fortnite player has expressed how they have became increasingly bored with Chapter 5 and its Battle Royale mode after feeling it has became “soulless” and is turning into Call of Duty. Fortnite has been well underway with Chapter 5 Season 1. It started with a whole new beginning to the game as three-new modes joined, as well as a brand-new Island and an overhaul of weapons and items. Various mid-season updates and hotfixes have followed. However it is the weapon attachments, snipers dominating the meta and the “awful” weapon designs that has drawn comparisons to CoD. Now, a Fortnite player has have had enough of this in Chapter 5 and has claimed that the “boring” Battle Royale mode has lost its uniquenes. Fortnite player sick of Battle Royale turning into CoD Fortnite player Jumanji2WasAScam asked the Fortnite community: “Anyone else feeling bored out of their minds with BR? “In 2023 I averaged 1.7 hours a day playing fortnite, this new chapter I’m averaging 15 mins a day. It is so boring.. the artstyle, the weapons and cod attachments, gameplay being just a sniper fest and souless with no wacky unique fortnite weapons. “This doesn’t feel like Fortnite anymore. It feels like the makers of CoD or PUBG were told to create their version of Fortnite and this is what we got.” Various players flooded in to agree. “Yeah, this sweaty CoD-like sh*t is tedious. Why would I not just play Call of Duty instead? People play Fortnite for the fun and craziness,” one commented. Another added: “Everything just feels generic. I feel like the game is trying to be more appealing to cod-like players. But it being different from cod and the likes is what made the game big in the first place.” There was even some CoD players who echoed the same thoughts: “I’ll admit that I’m a CoD player who just started playing last month and I’m really enjoying it. But I definitely agree it feels empty.” While others homed in on other issues with Chapter 5. This was mostly in regards to the thought that “Medallions are a cool idea but again they dropped the ball,” and players stating that “It’s the matchmaking that is driving me insane. Either bots or either pros that snipe you with a friggin pistol from 200m.” Whether you are enjoying Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 or not, Epic Games has made huge changes to various aspects of its main Battle Royale mode and the introduction of its groundbreaking three new modes. One of which is LEGO Fortnite, which some players have claimed has “ruined” the Item Shop.

  • Fortnite player banned for 2 million days leaves community stunned – Dexerto

Fortnite player banned for 2 million days leaves community stunned FortniteOne Fortnite player has shared a screenshot of their account being banned for over two million days, leaving the community shocked and questioning what they did. As an online multiplayer game, Fortnite has its own code of conduct to ensure players compete in a safe and fun environment. By now, it’s clear that cheating, teaming, exploiting glitches, and even using Roblox exploits can impact your Fortnite account. Aside from gameplay offenses, players can also receive a social ban, which, depending on the severity of their action, can result in losing access to voice and text chat features. Generally, this kind of ban lasts a week. However, one player has shocked the community by posting a screenshot of their account getting social banned for just under three million days. The user didn’t elaborate further on what they did to get such a lengthy ban, and it’s also unknown whether or not this was a visual glitch. Nonetheless, many players were stunned to see this, with some not hesitating to poke fun at the situation. “Did you declare war on a country?” joked one curious player. Meanwhile, another user couldn’t help but wonder: “What the f**** did you say? Did you channel your inner early CoD, BG, or Halo lobby voice?” Another player asked: “Happy to see they are cracking down but dang… What the hell was said?” In the comments, one player even suggested that they have their “account passed down through generations” so that “their voice would be heard one day.” “I don’t know what you did but I’m already siding with Epic,” one chimed in. Following this, some players claimed that toxic players deserved such punishment. “Just a note to be kind: not everybody who plays the game is being competitive and uses it for a break from real life,” one of them wrote. Overall, this should serve as a reminder for players not to break the game’s rules. After all, it would be a shame to lose a Fortnite account with skins that will never return over something trivial.

  • Fortnite planning to add inventory-upgrading Midas Flopper in Season 4 – Dexerto

Fortnite planning to add inventory-upgrading Midas Flopper in Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite Season 4 is reportedly set to overhaul the fishing system in a big way with all-new Floppers being dropped into the map – some of which can supposedly upgrade your full loadout. Season 4 is right around the corner and new information appears to be slipping through the cracks with each passing hour. From the overall theme of the season to new Limited-Time Modes in the works, plenty of key details are leaking early. We’ve known for quite some time that Epic is planning on adding more fish-types to Fortnite. A June 25 leak outlined five Floppers that had surfaced in the Season 3 files. Now it appears as though another can be added to the list, as the Midas Flopper has been revealed ahead of time. This unique fish comes with a game-changing effect that upgrades your entire inventory in the blink of an eye. Here’s what the Fortnite community can expect as the Season 4 update rolls around. In Season 4 there will be a “”Midas Flopper”” that turns your entire inventory to Legendary rarity, This is according to @StonewallTabor’s latest video, also the pro fishing rod i leaked a while ago will be a thing, it only fishes rare floppers. — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 20, 2020 A major focus in Season 4 is going to be an overhaul to the current fishing system, according to Fortnite YouTuber ‘Tabor Hill.’ As a result of these changes, there will also be “upgraded fishing rods,” he explained in an August 19 upload. These will be the only rods that can “catch certain types of fish.” So you’ll first have to acquire one of the new rods before trying to hunt down the new Floppers. However, it could be well worth the effort. After all, it’s allegedly the only way to acquire an upcoming “ultra-rare Midas fish.” “If you catch this fish and you eat it, all weapons in your current inventory will automatically turn Legendary.” Regardless of your current loadout, even if you’re running with full common gear, everything will be bumped up to Legendary. This could easily swing momentum in your favor if things are looking dire towards the late-game. Due to just how powerful this effect is, it’s supposedly one of the rarest Floppers coming in Season 4. The current Mythic Goldfish has a one in a million chance of spawning. So Hill doesn’t quite think it’ll be “as rare,” though it will still be hard to find. This game-changing fish could certainly tip the battle royale on its head once Season 4 arrives. However, do take this information with a grain of salt. “There’s always a chance that they cut it or removed it,” he said. Though it “was definitely a thing about two weeks ago.” Fortnite’s next seasonal update is arriving on August 27. Therefore, fans won’t have to wait much longer to see if the Midas Flopper makes it to the live game.

  • Fortnite’s Plastic Patroller skin allows players to hide in plain sight and fans aren’t happy about it – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Plastic Patroller skin allows players to hide in plain sight and fans aren’t happy about it Epic GamesFortnite fans have been left confused by a brand new skin that appears to give players a slight advantage, should the circle fall in their favor. Epic Games’ uber-popular free-to-play title has dropped a number of cosmetic items since its release – including the infamous John Wick, a Guardians of the Galaxy mash-up, and a number of FIFA World Cup-themed designs. Yet, none of those gave players any sort of advantage in-game. Now, a new round of skins actually can help players, provided they benefit from the RNG luck. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user camicam95, pointed out that skins are meant to be for purely cosmetic reasons and not give any advantage to players. Although, the new Plastic Patroller skin can let players blend in with some areas much more easily than before. While eagle-eyed players may be able to tell the difference between the skin and a lighter colored bush, it’s hard to tell which is which when the Plastic Patroller skin hides in a similar colored tree. Players could quite easily use a backbling or harvesting tool that would give them away but then the skin was available alongside the Green Toy wrap, which can also help them blend in with a tree. After camicam95 noted this issue, some other fans voiced their concerns about players using the skin moving forward. “This is such a ridiculous skin. Everyone is going to be using it,” commented Velos85. Another, Merkemas, added: “I like the skin, but what a stupid move by Epic to release it. Who doesn’t want an invisible skin?” Not everyone had a problem with its release, though. Redditor HarvP posted: “It only blends in really well in trees. If people want to sit in trees all game then good for them. “The only problem with the skin is it didn’t come with a glider that was one of those plastic parachutes like the toy soldiers you to come with.” Of course, these skins won’t give you any sort of help if the storm circle moves over to the Snow or Desert biomes. However, considering they only make up a small portion of the map – players can, and probably will, use the new look to their advantage. It remains to be seen if the new skin affects play to the point where Epic Games have to step in and make some change, especially with the Fortnite World Cup lurking around the corner. Until that point, make sure you’re clearing out all corners before thinking that you’re safe in a match moving forward. You never know, there could be a toy soldier skin handing out in a tree.

  • Fortnite Black Panther skin details, POI & abilities leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Black Panther skin details, POI & abilities leaked Marvel Studios / Epic GamesBlack Panther could soon be added to Fortnite Battle Royale as Season 4 leaks have revealed not just a new point of interest name, but also a few superhero abilities as well. This would be a really exciting addition to the game and could spark a trend of more superhero bosses protecting areas of the map, as seen with Doctor Doom who lingers around Doom’s Domain. When you defeat him, you can pick up two superhero ability items, called a Mystical Bomb and Arcane Gauntlets. Next up might be Black Panther, as the clues are really stacking up for their introduction. Fortnite Panther Monument POI leaked According to datamined leaks shared by HYPEX, and seemingly confirmed by iFireMonkey, a new “PantherMonument” point of interest will be added to Fortnite “later in the season” as part of a mid-event update. This Black Panther-themed area looks like it will be located just to the left of iconic Fortnite POI Misty Meadows. From the sounds of things, the “monument” will be similar to Wakanda’s Bastet statue, depicted in Black Panther (2018). A landmark called “”PantherMonument”” will be at this place at some point pic.twitter.com/eF8RnzebjJ — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 27, 2020 The Panther Monument would join another Marvel-themed POI that has already been added to the game: Doom’s Domain. It was added at the beginning of Season 4’s update, replacing Pleasant Park in the Marvel crossover event. Doom’s Domain, as well as small POI updates like the “Sentinel Graveyard” and new main menu locale “The Helicarrier,” were mentioned in Epic’s Chapter 2 Season 4 announcement. The announcement also gives us a small clue regarding when we will see Black Panther’s POI arrive in-game. When Epic unveiled the new Marvel POIs, they said there would be “more arriving later.” Fortnite Black Panther abilities leaked This mid-season addition has also been backed up by another string of HYPEX leaks, which mentioned mysterious “Panther Rock” items. These new Season 4 objects will be added in either v14.10 or v14.20, the data miner has suggested. Upcoming Abilities/Items codenames: Collector DogHouse PantherRock SecurityTruck— HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 27, 2020 Following on from that, a day later the data miner posted another discovery in the game’s files. The sounds of these abilities have been uncovered, which include Kinetic Absorption. There’s a good chance we might get a Black Panther skin this season, Here’s his abilities and the sounds of one of them “”Kinetic Absorption”” pic.twitter.com/njmZBsy0VA — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 28, 2020 Will Black Panther get a Fortnite skin? The leaked confirmation Black Panther will be getting a themed locale in Season 4 begs the question; will the king of Wakanda also arrive in-game as one of the Marvel skins too? It’s a reasonably good guess to say yes. There’s been nothing in the way of leaks for such a skin — at least, not at time of publication — but considering Doctor Doom got a POI, has his own skin, and is a mini-boss, it’s pretty likely. The possibility of a Black Panther skin arriving in Season 4 has also reminded us of an old concept put together by ‘GoldSulftin’ back in March 2018. The old concept looks absolutely insane and pretty worthy of a place in Fortnite! Wouldn’t this be cool? Here is a custom Black Panther #Fortnite skin I made. I haven’t done anything like this before so let me know what you think and if you like this skin idea! @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/xfLcSEoi9X — Austin Pasquale (@GoldSulftin) March 3, 2018 Black Panther may not have a confirmed Fortnite skin in the works, but Spider-Man does seem to be on his way to Epic’s battle royale; new challenge leaks have confirmed the web-slinger will be part of Season 4 at some point soon. Until Epic actually comes out and announces the Black Panther POI and skin, however, it’s all just speculation. Keep your fingers crossed though. The King of Wakanda could be making his grand Fortnite entrance pretty soon!

  • Fortnite Pizza Party locations: How to deploy & what it does – Dexerto

Fortnite Pizza Party locations: How to deploy & what it does Epic GamesThe Pizza Party consumable returns to the Fortnite loot pool in Chapter 4 Season 4 and lets players share out pizza slices among their teammates. Here’s where to find a Pizza Party and how to use it. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is going strong as the island has been taken over by Kado Thorne and carrying out heists in his three properties is the Last Resort. Players have been enjoying the new season so far as it brings high-octane action back to the game with several new items and weapons. The first major update this season, v26.10 is finally here and it brings a plethora of changes to the game One such change is the unvaulting of the popular Pizza Party item which can boost all of your team to (almost) full Health and Shield. You’ll also need to ‘deploy a Pizza Party’ at one of Thorne’s Strongholds to complete a Snapshot challenge, so it’s worth knowing where to find them. But what does a Pizza Party actually do? And where can you find one? Well, here’s all you need to know about the consumable item. Contents Where to find a Pizza Party in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 The easiest way to find a Pizza Party is to go directly to Piper Pace, who sells the item for 100 Gold Bars. However, you need to gain 3 Reps with the character by completing a set of Snapshot Quests before you can purchase the consumable from them. You can find the newest NPC next to the Pizza Pit restaurant in Slappy Shores. We’ve marked Piper Pace’s location on the Fortnite map below: You can also find a Pizza Party by searching loot Chests. If you’re especially lucky, you might find one lying around as floor loot, although this is less likely. If you’re looking to complete a challenge involving Pizza Party, we’d recommend just going straight to Piper Pace and spending some Gold Bars, as you’re guaranteed to get one that way. How to deploy a Pizza Party in Fortnite One of Fortnite’s Snapshot challenges requires you to ‘deploy a Pizza Party‘ at one of Thorne’s properties. This is as simple as aiming and throwing a Pizza Party down onto the ground, just like how you’d throw a grenade. To complete the challenge, simply land at one of three Thorne’s properties and look for a Pizza Party in Chests or as floor loot. As soon as you find it, throw it on the ground. Once you’ve thrown a Pizza Party on the ground, you can’t pick it back up, so make sure you use it at the right time. If there are opponents nearby, you might not get to use it – and they could steal your pizza! On a final note, pizza slices now can restore 100 Shield but they will only recover up to 50 Health, so maybe leave some behind for your teammates if you’ve already recovered as much Health as you can. That’s everything you need to know about the Pizza Party and how to deploy it. For more news, leaks, and guides, visit our Fortnite home page. • Fortnite community divided by reports of planes returning in next update – Dexerto

Fortnite community divided by reports of planes returning in next update Epic GamesMentions of a new biplane challenge in datamined Fortnite information indicate planes will return in the next update. Planes originally took flight on Fortnite Island back in Chapter 1 Season 7, giving some players quite the advantage over their foes on the ground. While some enjoyed the addition of usable aircraft, others thought the machines far too overpowered. Notably, Epic removed planes from the equation in Season 8 to mixed reception. Leaks about the return of planes in Chapter 3 Season 4 began circulating several weeks ago. And now the evidence is starting to pile up. A planes update in Fortnite could arrive in the coming days A screenshot from Fortnite leaker Venom shows tags for a currently nonexistent challenge that asks players to “Fly a Biplane through a rift.” The leaker posits that plans may resurface during Week 6 Quest 3. Another well-known Fortnite content creator, HYPEX, reposted the news from Venom, with a note that “planes are set to return next week.” As always, because Epic Games has yet to corroborate the news, players should take the above claims with a grain of salt for the time being. This particular bit of information seems to have divided much of the Fortnite community. Replies to the HYPEX thread feature a mixture of “W” and “L” posts from fans divided over the leaked details. The prospect of planes reappearing in an upcoming update leaves some Fortnite players excited about how the dynamic of Zero Build may change. In response to naysayers wondering why planes are coming back, one Twitter user said it’s “because the game needs fun” that it’s been missing for “years.” Yet others remain convinced that planes are best left vaulted. If the leak proves accurate, Fortnite may find itself inundated with high-flying players sooner rather than later.

  • Fortnite leak shows off iconic Pirates of the Caribbean location – Dexerto

Fortnite leak shows off iconic Pirates of the Caribbean location Epic Games/DisneyLeaked Fortnite footage shows Pirates of the Caribbean’s Black Pearl ship anchored in a new POI, Shipwreck Shallows. Captain Jack Sparrow and crew will join Fortnite in mid-July, with skins for Jack, Davy Jones, Elizabeth Swann, and Barbossa all confirmed for the Item Shop. Fortnite players can look forward to a few upcoming map changes, as well. The evidence of these impending Pirates-themed alterations has already manifested on the current Battle Royale map, seen in foggy waters with shipwrecks scattered around. On June 24, Fortnite leaker FNBRNewsJP (via ShiinaBR) shared a closer look at exactly what the POTC map event will look like come mid-July. According to leaked details, the new POI will bear the name Shipwreck Shallows. The above video shows Captain Jack Sparrow’s Black Pearl serving as the main attraction, anchored in waters where other ships lie in pieces. Players will get to explore the Black Pearl’s main deck and venture area below deck to find loot hidden in gold chests. Shipwreck Shallows will additionally play host to a port that likely acts as a pirate haven. Its quick appearance in the footage showcases several golden chests, cannons, and interior areas. Longtime Fortnite players are already likening Shipwreck Shallows to Lazy Lagoon, another pirate-centric POI that Epic originally introduced during Chapter 1 Season 8. How Fortnite’s Pirates of the Caribbean content will differentiate itself from Lazy Lagoon remains to be seen. Notably, this gameplay leak comes days after Epic accidentally unleashed the Captain Jack Sparrow skin. For a brief period of time, Fortnite players were able to unlock the cosmetic item before its removal from the game. Fortnite’s Pirates of the Caribbean crossover will officially go live on Friday, July 19.

  • Fortnite pivoting away from FOMO-tactics is its healthiest decision yet – Dexerto

Fortnite pivoting away from FOMO-tactics is its healthiest decision yet Epic GamesEpic Games’ decision to let future Fortnite Battle Pass cosmetics arrive in the Item Shop after a period of time is a breath of fresh air the community needs. I’ll never forget the first time I picked up Fortnite and jumped into the Battle Royale. Seeing other players rocking different outfits, whether an OG character or a collab skin, made me so excited to invest my time in the game. I was aware that the Item Shop would eventually rotate past skins back, but imagine my surprise when I learned that a specific Teen Titans skin I wanted was locked in a Battle Pass that was out years ago. And there’s no turning back time, no matter how badly I wanted it. That’s where the FOMO experience began for me. Knowing that Battle Pass skins and cosmetics wouldn’t return in Fortnite led me to force myself to grind the game, even when I didn’t like the season—which I’m sure is the case with many players who don’t want to miss out. I didn’t even care if I didn’t particularly like some of the Battle Pass skins. The thought of me possibly liking them in the future, as they might suddenly become a significant part of a story in Fortnite, made me continue the grind regardless of the state of the season. At some point, I realized it made the game feel unfun. Unlike the honeymoon phase I had in the beginning, I eventually didn’t play Fortnite because I really wanted to – but simply because I didn’t want to regret not getting all the skins while they were still available. So, when Fortnite finally announced it was pivoting away from exclusivity, many players, myself included, were ecstatic. To me, it’s not just because I’m assured that the skins may eventually be available in the Item Shop after a certain period. But in a way, I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulder. Not having to worry about locked skins in the Battle Pass makes me feel like I can genuinely enjoy the game again for what it is, and not just some exclusive locker simulator where I grind tedious quests to unlock Battle Pass skins. I won’t have to think about pressuring myself to do all the challenges to level up the Battle Pass. Sometimes, I just want to hop on a match and not have to force myself to find and use a weapon I don’t like just because I need the XP. I can just log in to the game and enjoy the Battle Royale like it’s supposed to be – fun. Granted, Epic claimed that it would take 18 or more months for future Battle Pass items to potentially arrive in the Item Shop. But even with that in mind, so far, this decision has also been praised by other players in the community in a Reddit thread. “Actually a W? Now people can take breaks from the game without having to worry about missing out on their favorite characters forever,” commented one player. Another user wrote: “Rare W. Glad to hear that community feedback about how time-exclusive cosmetics being stupid is being considered by people who work at Epic. Hopefully, they can find a way to release cosmetics from old Battle Passes though.” Despite many others suggesting that Epic should also include old Battle Pass items, this overhaul is a step in the right direction. Who knows, there could be another Paradigm’ incident’—but permanent.

  • Fortnite PC aim assist changes finally coming after Patch 12.60 – Dexerto

Fortnite PC aim assist changes finally coming after Patch 12.60 Epic GamesPC aim assist has long been a controversial talking point in the Fortnite community and Epic Games is finally gearing up to introduce new changes. Controller dominance in competitive Fortnite has been on the rise of late with many PC pros picking up the sticks. Aim assist has been a major talking point as a result, with players like Ninja even likening it to an “aimbot”. While the upcoming 12.60 patch won’t directly balance the state of aim assist in Fortnite, Epic Games has revealed when players can expect the next big shakeup. In an early patch note preview sent out on May 19, the developers touched on a wide array of topics. From new items in Party Royale to a Dynamic Resolution option on iOS. However, the biggest focus was on “PC controller adjustments.” “Controller tweaking, tuning, and investigation continues,” the preview read. While nothing was set in stone, and no exact date was highlighted, aim assist changes have been pinned for “next week.” The main reason that changes aren’t being released alongside the 12.60 patch? According to Epic Games, it’s due to the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Invitational Grand Finals. Starting in just a few days on May 23, the online tournament will see Fortnite’s elite battling it out for hundreds of thousands in their respective regions. According to Epic Games, they didn’t want to release aim assist changes “right before the FNCS Invitational Finals.” Having introduced major features and game-changing items just hours before landmark tournaments in the past, it seems as though Epic has learned from previous backlash in that regard. There’s no telling exactly what these changes may look like, nor how powerful aim assist will be once they take effect. But we now know just when the state of Fortnite will be adjusted after weeks of criticism from the community. Fortnite’s 12.60 update is expected to release on Wednesday, May 20, at 11 PM PT / 2 AM ET. Here’s an early look at what to expect.

  • Fortnite permanently removes Trios mode ahead of Ranked play release – Dexerto

Fortnite permanently removes Trios mode ahead of Ranked play release Epic GamesEpic Games have announced that the Trios team size will be permanently removed from Fortnite to make way for the battle royale’s new Ranked mode. Trios mode to Fortnite back in Chapter 2 Season 5 when they sought to diversify the gameplay like popular games like Apex Legends, which has had a Trios matchmaking lobbies from the start. As soon as Trios was made available, it was adopted as a standard matchmaking option for most cash cups and tournaments due to its widespread popularity within the competitive scene. However, with the FNCS switching to Duos this year, Fortnite has made a significant adjustment to the game by introducing Ranked Play. As a result, Epic has permanently deleted the Trios mode, which caught the amateurs off guard, in an effort to level the playing field for competitive play between pros and casual players. Trios vaulted from Fortnite Battle Royale and Zero Build modes Following the introduction of Ranked mode with the v24.40 update, Fortnite has made the monumental decision to permanently remove the Trios lobbies from Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. This is the first substantial update to the game’s lobby system since Epic implemented Trios in 2019. The new Ranked mode, when released will feature the following team sizes: Battle Royale: Solo, Duos, and Squads – Zero Build: Duos – Pros like SypherPK have shared their thoughts about the removal of the Trios team size, explaining that “player count could get really split and queue times could get out of hand” if Trios remained with the introduction of Ranked mode. It’s also been confirmed that the new Ranked mode will replace Arena mode, which was a prerequisite for participating in tier-based competitive events in the game. Now that everyone has a chance to compete equally in Ranked Play, the long-term results should be intriguing to see.

  • Fortnite’s pay-to-win and pay-to-lose vehicles amplify car combat chaos – Dexerto

Fortnite’s pay-to-win and pay-to-lose vehicles amplify car combat chaos Epic GamesAn Epic Games statement addressed player concerns about Fortnite’s pay-to-win and pay-to-lose cars in Chapter 5 Season 3. On June 1, popular Twitch streamer Nickeh30 shared a TikTok video highlighting the pay-to-win and pay-to-lose cars players should watch out for in battle royale. In the video, the streamer demonstrated that players can easily take damage when driving around in freely available Fortnite vehicles like Whiplash, Werewolf, and Masmune. Nickeh30 hopped on top of one such vehicle, shot through the windshield a few times, and instantly took out an opponent. The content creator performed the same demonstration on someone sitting inside a Samurai, a car body that costs 1,500 V-Bucks in the Item Shop. As shown in the video below, some free cars have bigger windshields and smaller dashboards, making drivers easy targets. Several paid cars come with smaller windshields and larger dashboards that better protect those in the front seat. However, Nickeh30 also noted that pay-to-lose cars have cropped up, with paid rides like the Scorpion boasting bigger windshields that can prove detrimental to players. Meanwhile, some free vehicles such as the Octane have smaller windows that reduce the chance of taking damage. The TikTok post quickly went viral on social media, raising concerns in the Fortnite community about the effects of pay-to-win and pay-to-lose cars. It didn’t take long for developers at Epic Games to notice the mounting discourse. As a result, the studio shared a brief statement with Kotaku on June 4, telling the publication that a fix is in the works. The comment from Epic reads as follows: “We’re aware of the issue and have a fix planned for an upcoming build.” What the specific fix is and when it will go live is not yet known. These concerns come amid other car-related troubles for Fortnite. Chapter 5 Season 3 of the experience introduced vehicle mods that have drastically altered the battle royale’s gameplay. While a contingent of players enjoy the high-octane chaos, others want Epic to dial back the car combat. So far, items such as the Boogie Bomb and EMP have helped tame the car combat-induced chaos.

  • Fortnite Patch V6.10 brings custom building sensitivity for console players – Dexerto

Fortnite Patch V6.10 brings custom building sensitivity for console players Fortnite players who use a controller to play the popular battle royale title will finally be able to change their building sensitivity in-game. Released in the v6.10 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale, players will now be able to set their controller sensitivity for building separately from the sensitivity used when aiming or moving. The new system will work as a multiplier of normal in-game sensitivity, with players able to select different settings right up to double the speed of the game’s default sensitivity. This means that players will be able to build much quicker on controller than previously able to, while not affecting their ability to take out enemies. The change to controller sensitivity while building has prompted Epic Games to make changes to the slider used to dictate these settings, replacing the old 10 value slider with a new version that gives players more precise control over their sensitivity. Read More: Fortnite V6.10 map changes – Tilted Towers demolition work, new race track, Pizza Pit and more – Epic Games have also updated the Builder Pro controller layout, that allows for building as soon as you switch to the piece, instead of selecting first and then placing. While this means that players won’t be able to preview the piece they are building, it will rapidly increase the speed gamers can build at. Patch V6.10 brought a new Events tab to Fortnite, making it easier for players to access tournaments and official events, which Epic Games hopes will encourage fans of the game to take their first steps into the world of competitive Fortnite. The update also brought the official launch of the Quadcrasher, a two-seater quad bike with a massive shield on the front.

  • Fortnite patch removes lightsabers & Winterfest but adds annoying bug – Dexerto

Fortnite patch removes lightsabers & Winterfest but adds annoying bug Epic Games have released a new hotfix for their popular battle royale title Fortnite that brings to an end the Winterfest and Star Wars events that ran throughout the festive season, but it appears that the patch has caused an annoying issue for those who took part. Over the Christmas period, Fortnite players were treated with a host of events, tasks, and rewards to keep them coming back to the game over the holidays, with Star Wars-themed cosmetics available to those who took on the Winterfest challenges, and lightsabers from the legendary movie franchise scattered across the island for players to wield as if they were Jedi themselves. On January 7, Epic Games released a hotfix that signaled the end of these events, however, once it went live, Fortnite fans were greeted with a strange bug that has left those who completed challenges wondering if they have wasted their time. While the idea of swinging a lightsaber around in Fortnite sounds like a great idea, many players had grown quickly frustrated with the weapons. Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and many on social media called on the game’s developers to take them out, calling them “broken” and “bugged.” Finally, on January 7, Epic Games pulled them out of the game, meaning players won’t have to worry about hearing the ominous drone of the weapon again. The following has been disabled: – Star Wars stuff, I.E Lightsabers – Winter things (the ice cube things and some other stuff)Source: hotfix at 9:08 AM ET — Lucas7yoshi – Leaks/News (@Lucas7yoshi) January 7, 2020 While the removal of the lightsabers means that players will no longer face teleporting foes due to bugs, it seems that the end of the event has triggered another annoying bug to rear its head. In a post uploaded to Reddit shortly after the hotfix went live, fans of the game started complaining that the Star Wars challenges they had completed were missing from the game entirely. These challenges allowed players to earn special cosmetics from the movie franchise, but it appears that even though many have completed them, they are no longer available to view on the challenges screen, prompting many to wonder if their progress has been lost for good. Anyone who earned cosmetics during the event doesn’t have to worry about them disappearing, as they remain in inventories and available for use. However, for those achievement hunters who love ticking off challenges, it’s frustrating to see all that hard work disappear, especially if you had earned 100% completion in the Star Wars event. Epic Games have thankfully addressed the bug, confirming that they’re aware of it and are working on a fix. We’re aware of an issue involving players’ Star Wars Legacy entries having disappeared. We are working on a fix. Trello card here: https://t.co/IVvCfvKlfe pic.twitter.com/TFlibMQJYA — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) January 7, 2020 It’s possible we may see it released as another hotfix, or they could wait to include it in the game’s next major patch. There is currently no official date for the release of the update, or for a fix for the challenge glitch.

  • Fortnite Party Royale possibly teases Kirby crossover with Nintendo – Dexerto

Fortnite Party Royale possibly teases Kirby crossover with Nintendo NintendoFortnite’s next crossover may have been revealed in the recent Party Royale trailer, as eagle-eyed fans spotted popular Nintendo character Kirby appearing out of the blue. In recent seasons, Fortnite has embraced popular culture and done a number of crossover with incredibly popular musicians, television shows, movies, and comic book characters. Some crossovers have been as simple as a few cosmetics in the item shop, a new game mode, or even a full-blown map change. Most recently, the game had a crossover with Travis Scott and his Astronomical event but, since then, Fortnite has launched the Party Royale mode – with fans gathering for numerous EDM concerts. However, prior to the launch of Party Royale, a potential new crossover might have been spotted in the trailer. In the Party Royale mode trailer, players spotted Kirby appearing for a split-second at the beginning of the video. It is a real blink and you’ll miss it moment as the lovable pink character isn’t joining in with the Fortnite skins dancing in the middle of the screen. Instead, Kirby can be seen hanging out just below where they are all dancing, floating under the right side of the bridge. The Nintendo character only appears in the official Epic Games trailer, though, and is blurred in the Xbox and PlayStation uploads. Kirby’s appearance has sparked speculation that Fortnite could be doing a Nintendo-based crossover, but will that prove to be the case? Some fans have suggested that the character wasn’t actually put into the trailer by Epic Games. Instead, they’ve noted that Kirby might have just been used in the footage sent in by the DJ’s in the trailer, seeing as it looks like Kirby is on the huge screen that is displaying the show. As of writing, Epic Games hasn’t confirmed if Kirby’s appearance was an easter egg that will lead to a crossover or if it was just a mistake. Though, the Nintendo character hasn’t been referenced in leaks about season three – which have suggested that Aquaman will replace Deadpool and a few classic skins will be returning.

Previous beacons have completely overhauled the area they appeared in, with Neo Tilted turning into Tilted Town and the soccer field getting a massive crater. It still remains a mystery as to what the new location will be, so we’ll just have to wait for the update to see what happens, but there’s a good chance that we could see one of the old points of interest return in its place. The return of Moisty Mire? Moisty Mire was where the desert location of Fortnite currently lies and going with the theme of the season, this is how it could make a return. A new location called Moisty Palms has been hinted at which would be a mash-up of Paradise Palms and Moisty Mire, so it’s really the best of both worlds. New Shield Bubble item The in-game news section updated and revealed the Shield Bubble will also be arriving with this update. “This is one bubble that’s not easy to burst. Shield yourself from projectiles with this protective dome,“ its description states, which doesn’t leave too much to the imagination. From the sounds of things, the Shield Bubble could end up being a counter to the BRUTE mech as the shield will protect you from projectiles. The mech is able to let off a flurry of rockets so having a quick way to defend yourself will be key to turning the tides of the fight. Fortnite patch 10.20 release time The Fortnite Twitter account revealed the patch will be going live on August 27 with downtime starting at 4 AM EST /1 AM PDT/9 AM BST, and 10 AM CEST. As for what’s coming with this update, there are some things that look to be very much on the cards. Take cover! The v10.20 update is coming tomorrow. Downtime begins tomorrow, August 27, at 4 AM ET (0800 UTC)— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) August 26, 2019

  • Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to score a goal on an indoor soccer pitch – Dexerto

Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to score a goal on an indoor soccer pitch Graphics: Epic GamesFortnite players will need to show off their soccer skills on the game’s indoor pitch for the final set of Overtime challenges, but they won’t need to play like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to complete it successfully. The final three Overtime challenges were added to the popular battle royale game by Epic Games on July 29 and tasks players not only to finish high in games of Duos or Squads, deal damage with an SMG, but also score a goal on the indoor soccer pitch too. However, not everybody will be aware of where they can find it, so that’s why we’ve put together a quick and easy map to show you the location. After taking a look at the destination on the map, you’re going to need to drop down from the Battle Bus to the indoor soccer pitch point of interest and score a goal. To score a goal, you simply run into the balls that are made available at the pitch and control it until it reaches the net. If you’re wondering how you will know that the challenge is complete, just wait for the music to start booming around the small arena when it finally reaches the net. Where to find the indoor soccer pitch in Fortnite: Now that all of the Overtime challenges are available to complete in Fortnite Battle Royale, players don’t have all that long to grind their way through them, with Season 10 just on the horizon. With two teasers already revealed for the upcoming season, fans have been left wondering what’s to come next in the popular free-to-play world. What we do know for sure, though, is that you can’t wait around for the new season to start if you want to pick up all of the Overtime rewards. The window of opportunity will slam shut at the beginning of Season 10, which is expected to kick off on August 1. So, act fast!

  • Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to complete them and unlock new cosmetics – Dexerto

Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to complete them and unlock new cosmetics Graphics: Epic GamesThe wait for Fortnite Battle Royale‘s Overtime challenges is finally over as Epic Games have released the final set of tasks for Season 8, with some amazing rewards up for grabs – including new skin styles, increased XP, and more. The Overtime challenges tend to commence near the end of each Fortnite season but have come slightly later this time around, meaning that there are slightly less tasks for players to grind their way through than in Season 7. There are a total of nine challenges, three of which are exclusive to Season 8 Battle Pass owners and the completion of each will result in three new outfits, for some very popular skins included in the bundle. Subscribers will have the chance to unlock new looks for Sidewinder, Ember, and Master Key. As mentioned earlier, with Season 9 on the horizon, players are not going to have a whole lot of time to pace their way through these challenges. The new season is expected to kick off on May 9 and if we’ve learned anything from Fortnite since its September 2017 release, it’s that we should expect a whole lot of new content to land around that time. Read More: Competitive Fortnite players ‘banned’ for cheating during World Cup Qualifer can still qualify – The Overtime rewards offer a total of 6,000 XP players for their season level, which could be a huge boost for players who don’t have too many Battle Stars racked up. On that note, Epic switched out the Battle Star for a hidden banner in Fortnite’s Week 10 Discovery challenge, which you can find using our guide. Nevertheless, if you would like to skip over that and head right for the Overtime challenges, the full list can be found below: Fortnite Season 8 Overtime Challenges Battle Pass Overtime Challenges: Reach Battle Pass Tier 23 – to unlock new Sidewinder style – Reach Battle Pass Tier 71 – to unlock new Ember style – Reach Battle Pass Tier 87 – to unlock new Master Key style – Free Overtime challenges: Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands (20) – Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend (3) – Deal damage to opponents (1,000) – Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend (3) – Outlast Opponents (500) – Place Top 25 in Solos (3) – Fortnite Season 9 news There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the start and end times for both Season 9 and Season 10 for quite some time, with supposed leaked information suggesting that the Fortnite World Cup finals would start at the beginning of the latter. This sent shock waves right throughout the professional player community, as they potentially wouldn’t have time to get to grips with new content before jumping into the most important matches of the competition. However, those rumors have since been debunked by Epic Games, who have since confirmed that the World Cup finals will take place in Season 9. With Season 9 just around the corner, you will have to act fast if you’re looking to complete the Overtime challenges in time – before the door slams shut and new challenges are released. • Fortnite: Overtime Challenges and how to complete them to get free Season 8 Battle Pass – Dexerto

Fortnite: Overtime Challenges and how to complete them to get free Season 8 Battle Pass Season 7 of Fortnite isn’t over just yet, as we are now into ‘overtime’, for the final two weeks of February, indicated by the launch of the Overtime Challenges. Uniquely, these challenges cross over between both Battle Royale and Creative Mode, and will add new challenges to the list over the two weeks they are available, until February 27. As well as earning the standard XP, battle stars and cosmetic rewards, there is a massive bonus for completing these challenges – you will be given access to the Season 8 battle pass for free. So, whether you like completing Fortnite challenges or not, these Overtime Challenges are crucial, as they will save you spending any of your precious V-Bucks on the upcoming season’s battle pass, usually around $10. The first challenges in the Overtime set have now been revealed, with three exclusively for Season 7 battle pass owners, and the first free challenges are now unlocked too. For the battle pass owners, you simply need to rank up your account and keep progressing, so there’s not much to be explained there. The interesting part comes below, with the free challenges. How to complete Overtime Challenges Complete 13 Free Overtime Challenges to get Season 8 Battle Pass This is the main goal of these new challenges – check out details of all the tasks below so you can complete 13 in time to earn a free Season 8 battle pass. Collect (15) Coins in Featured Creative Islands – 500 XP Simple head into Creative mode, pick any of the islands available, and hunt around for the coins. Simply standing next to the coin should count it as being ‘found’, and you will then see the progress bar fill. Deal damage to opponents with Assault Rifles or Pistols (500) – 500 XP Nothing too complex here, just make sure you pick up AR’s and Pistols whenever you come across them. Pistols aren’t great for damage, so try to get the drop on opponents, otherwise you will most likely end up eliminated yourself. The Heavy AR is the highest damage weapon in it’s class, so try to use it when possible. Search 7 chests or ammo boxes at a motel or an RV Park – 500 XP This one is straightforward enough, but you will need to know where to go. The motel is at the very north west of the map, north of Pleasant Park. RV Park is just north of Retail Row. Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend 3 times – Valentine Wrap This challenge wants you to find a partner, and will reward you with the pink Valentine weapon wrap. If you really want to get this challenge done, just play it slow until you reach the top 15 (i.e. when there is 30 or less players remaining). If you don’t have a partner this Valentine’s period, just use the fill option to find a partner, then party up with them after – playing duos with a random partner from fill probably won’t count towards the challenge progress. Regain health from a campfire in different matches 3 times – 500 XP For this challenge, you can use the new Foraged Campfire’s which are littered around the map. Added with the v7.30 content update, there are plenty of these fires to choose from. If you don’t need to heal, simply take some fall damage – and then get to the nearest fire to complete the challenge. Here’s a map of every Foraged Campfire on the Fortnite map. Visit different named locations (10) – 500XP This challenge is the easiest yet – you may want to land somewhere in the center of the map, so you can quickly move through named locations like Tilted Towers, Dusty Divot, Retail Row etc. Search a supply drop in different matches 2 times – 500XP This one you should be able to tick off just by playing naturally, but keep an eye to the sky to see when those supply drops are coming down. You’ll also need to watch out for increased competition for them though, due to this challenge. Revive a player in different matches 3 times – Loading Screen It’s almost cheating, but you could always jump into a duos match with a friend and simply take fall damage over to ensure you get a revive. Unfortunately, you’ll still have to do it in three different matches. Visit 7 Different Waterfalls – 500 XP There are a total of eight waterfalls on the Fortnite map – here’s a full map with every waterfall location. Deal Damage to Opponents with Shotguns or SMG’s (500) – 500 XP Nothing complex about this one, just make sure you get up nice and close before taking any chances with these close range weapon types. Search 7 chests or ammo boxes at the Block – 500 XP The Block is the name for where Risky Reels used to be, and there is no fan-made creations there instead. It’s currently ‘Mr Slick Willyz’ Block’ on the map, and can be found just north of Wailing Woods. Place top 10 in Squads with a friend 3 times – Trail For this one, you will need to be in a party with at least one friend, and then you can either use the fill option or just go in 2v4. Play it slow and try to secure the top 10, rather than playing too aggressively – unless you’re confident in your ability. The final Overtime Challenges are expected to be available on Friday, February 22, and thanks to leaks, we already know what they are going to be: Outlast 75 opponents in a single match – Play matches of Driftin’ with a friend – Thank the bus driver in different matches – Search chests or ammo boxes at a racetrack or a dance club – We will keep this post updated with all the Overtime Challenges and how to complete them as they are released.

  • Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to dance on top of Singularity Sword – Dexerto

Fortnite Overtime challenges: How to dance on top of Singularity Sword Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale players have got a good list of Overtime challenges to complete already, but one of the newest tasks them with dancing on top of a Singularity Sword. Epic Games had initially added the wrong challenge to their official list in-game, suggesting that players will have to dance near the holographic Durr Burger in NEO Tilted. It has since been updated and now players will – this time for sure – need to locate the Singularity Sword on the map and dance right on top of it. However, not everybody will know exactly where to find it. Those who tuned in to watch the battle royale game’s latest in-game event, which saw two giant monsters clash in Fortnite, will know that the monster vs. mech fight resulted in not just the destruction of some areas of the map, but the start of a brand new point of interest. As seen in the map below, there’s now a huge bone structure from the monster that was eliminated during the fight. It was slain by the robot that was being built at Pressure Plant. While it might have just had one hand following a few huge clashes with its foe, the bout ended with the use of the Singularity Sword, and that can still be found on the map. That’s exactly where you’re going to need to go. We’ve even added a screenshot to the map for good measure, which shows its exact location, near Dusty Divot in the middle of the map. From there, all you will need to do is jump on top of the Singularity Sword and activate one of your dancing emotes in order to complete it. You might also be wondering what’s the point of dancing on top of a huge sword. Well, as a reward for doing so, players will receive a brand new Quest for the Cup loading screen, as seen in the graphic below. This is part of a set of three new Fortnite Overtime challenges that were unlocked and set live on July 26. For more information on these, check out our easy guide to complete them. Hopefully, you’ll be walking around in a set of Overtime exclusive cosmetics in no time!

  • Fortnite players shocked by power of Overclocked Pulse Rifle – Dexerto

Fortnite players shocked by power of Overclocked Pulse Rifle Epic GamesFortnite players have found that Chapter 4 Season 2’s Overclocked Pulse Rifle may be a bit overpowered. Epic Games added the mythic rifle to Fortnite’s inventory at the start of this season. The new weapon is incredibly powerful, too, dealing 38 base damage and up to 57 headshot damage. Its damage output combined with an impressive fire rate makes the Overclocked Pulse Rifle the ideal gun for pretty much any combat situation. However, footage of the weapon in action indicates it’s overpowered, so much so that players can mow down enemies in record time. Fortnite’s Overlocked Pulse Rifle looks OP in gameplay clip “Yeah, so the overclocked pulse rifle is a bit strong,” Reddit user ChancetheUnrapper wrote as a caption for a gameplay video. The clip in question showed the Fortnite player wielding the new mythic weapon, then obliterating an enemy with it in a split second. Literally. At the two-second mark in the clip below, ChancetheUnrapper spots their prey. By the three-second mark, Fortnite’s loading up its “Victory Royale” animation. Needless to say, it’s quite a sight to behold. According to Reddit users in the thread, the unbelievably fast kill is possible thanks to the rifle’s increased rate of hip fire. Others were too awestruck to care about why Fortnite’s Overlocked Pulse Rifle is so overpowered. Wrote one person, “bro literally melted him.” Someone who’s been on the receiving end of the new Season 2 gun joked, “a guy melted me with the pulse gun faster than butter melts in the Sahara.” Notably, users can find the high-powered mythic on Loot Island after capturing the POI in the capture zone. But given the rifle’s raw power, reason suggests it’ll likely receive a buff sooner rather than later.

  • Fortnite unvaults original SMG in the latest hotfix – Dexerto

Fortnite unvaults original SMG in the latest hotfix Epic GamesIn the newest hotfix for Fortnite v24.20, Epic Games unvaulted the original SMG, bringing back the classic weapon for the first time in more than a year. Fortnite’s classic submachine gun hasn’t been available to players since Chapter 3 Season 1, which kicked off in late 2021. Submachine guns, in general, have long served as a fan-favorite weapon, especially for those who like to dabble in close-quarters combat on the battlefield. As such, many Fortnite users will be pleased to find that a long-vaulted gun has finally returned to the roster of available weapons. Fortnite’s latest hotfix finally unvaults the original SMG Fortnite-dedicated Twitter account HYPEX reports that the new hotfix for v24.20 brought back the game’s classic SMG. Though it featured in Team Rumble at the start of the current season, players can now find the original submachine gun in Battle Royale, competitive playlists, and Zero Build. While many seem pleased by the return of Fortnite’s original SMG, some find the timing off because of the Twin Mag SMG. One person asked in the thread, “Who’s gonna use the og smg if you already have a version of it in the game that has a much faster reload?” Others also commented on the Twin Mag’s longer range and faster reload capabilities. But the classic weapon may win out in some respects given its aim assist advantages. The new hotfix introduced a few other noteworthy changes, as well. For one, the Lock-On Pistol is now available across all competitive playlists. Several Unreal Editor bug fixes were added in the update, too, including one that addressed the “Commandlet Failed” error when building HLODs.

The issue is impacting all players across all regions who play on the PlayStation 4 console, with Epic currently working on a fix for the issue. We’ll update you as soon as the issue is resolved. pic.twitter.com/DhdQHwyfjn — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) December 2, 2019 Players started reporting the issue early on November 2. With people looking to take advantage of daily deals in the Fortnite shop, some players were noting that purchases were not showing up in their account. “I was about to buy the Globe Shaker skin, but it [left] the item shop,” said Reddit user ‘fortnitefan-account’. Players have lost anywhere from 10 dollars to hundreds worth of in-game currency to the issue, with PS4 users yet to see any bang for their buck. Comment byu/FreightTrainUSA from discussion inFortNiteBR It’s also impacting the direct purchase of V-Bucks from the shop, with players noting that they are not able to buy any in-game currency as well as items. Usually there’s some form of recourse available for players impacted by the issue. Epic Games could choose to refund all purchases, giving people back their precious V-Bucks. Read more: When will Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 end? – Alternatively, Epic Games might look to compensate players for the issue by giving them free V-Bucks in return, while still being able to keep the skins they were looking for. Epic Games are aware of the issue, tweeting out on November 2 that they are investigating an issue preventing players from redeeming purchases on the platform. They also clarified that it’s only affecting PS4 users, so Xbox, PC, and Mobile users shouldn’t be impacted. PS4 Fortnite players have also been urged to not use the in-game shop until the issue is fixed, otherwise they might lose their in-game currency.

  • Fortnite: Orange Shirt Kid’s mom has sued Epic Games over popular ‘Orange Justice’ emote – Dexerto

Fortnite: Orange Shirt Kid’s mom has sued Epic Games over popular ‘Orange Justice’ emote Epic Games is being taken to court by the mother of the Orange Shirt kid who filed a suit over the popular in-game emote on January 11. Epic Games are facing suits from multiple plaintiffs who claim their work is being profited and improperly used by the popular battle royale, that includes actor Alfonso Ribeiro, rapper 2 Milly, and one-time viral figure known as the Backpack Kid. Now, Rachel McCumbers has filed an action on behalf of her minor son against the North Carolina game company for “unfairly [profiting] from exploiting Orange Shirt Kid’s protected creative expression, likeness, and trademark without consent or authorization,” according to the lawsuit’s documents. The Orange Shirt Kid’s Orange Justice dance was famously added to the game after losing Fortnite’s Boogiedown Contest only for the game’s community to rally enough for the developers to include the submission as a new emote. However, after much acclaim and virality, the dance has taken off to become one of the most recognizable moves from the game. The claim suggests the company infringed on and exploited the creative works of the Orange Shirt Kid’s dance, which resulted in Epic Games amassing incredible profits from the dance. Although the Boogiedown Contest specified that contestants would “not be specifically paid” for their submissions, the Plaintiff will still seek damages from the success that the game enjoyed in the month following Orange Justice’s inclusion. Like the other claims, the suit might be tricky for the Plaintiff to navigate due to the subjective nature of copyrighting a dance, but that won’t stop either party from proving their side of the story.

  • Leak claims Optimus Prime will roll into Fortnite in time for new Transformers film – Dexerto

Leak claims Optimus Prime will roll into Fortnite in time for new Transformers film Paramount PicturesBased on a new leak, Fortnite could be adding Optimus Prime to its roster of playable characters just in time for the next Transformers movie. At the time of writing, official details about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 have yet to surface. That hasn’t prevented a trove of leaks and rumors from circulating, however. One such leak suggests the new season will launch with a tropical biome, possibly with a desert environment mixed in. Now yet another leak is making the rounds online, indicating that something pretty major may soon roll out into the wilds of Fortnite Island. A Fortnite x Optimus Prime crossover could go live soon Over the weekend, Reddit user Ambushments shared a screenshot of a loading screen featuring Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Naturally, the Prime skin hints that a Transformers event is in the works. This doesn’t seem too far-fetched, either. After all, Fortnite is known to time its cross-media collabs with new releases; Transformers: Rise of the Beasts rides into theaters on June 9 – the same day Season 3 is expected to become available. Twitter user and leaker HYPEX posted an image of the Prime-featuring loading screen, too, and compiled several other unconfirmed details into the following tweet: Based on these leaks, players can additionally look forward to Summer Meowscles and Mechanic skins. Apparently, a racing mode, grind rails, and a new Mythic Drum Shotgun will also enter the fray next season. A more recent post from HYPEX claims Fortnite users will have plenty of new weapons to get their hands on, as well. For instance, helicopters are allegedly getting a launcher that “shoots every 2 seconds and deals 35 damage and 450 builds damage.” And a leaked loading screen outed the existence of a brand-new Lever Pistol. Furthermore, an Epic/Legendary Thermal Bolt Action Sniper capable of dealing 116/121 damage and 290/303 headshot damage could launch with Season 3. Per usual, it’s best not to take the above at face value, though the Fortnite x Optimus Prime shot is hard to dismiss. Fortnite players will know for certain what Epic is cooking up soon enough, with Season 2 ending in early June.

  • Fortnite Operation Sky Fire event countdown: What is coming at the end of the timer? – Dexerto

Fortnite Operation Sky Fire event countdown: What is coming at the end of the timer? Epic GamesAnother mysterious countdown has appeared at Corny Complex in Fortnite Season 7, and it seems to be leading up to a huge live finale event that’s called Operation Sky Fire. Aside from the endless pop culture crossovers, Epic’s hit battle royale Fortnite is arguably best known for its show-stopping live events, which have featured everything from an Ariana Grande concert to a battle against Marvel villain Galactus. Now, it looks like there’s another major event on the way. On Friday, September 3, a new timer appeared both in the Fortnite lobby and in the sky above Corny Complex, appearing to be counting down to the end of the current season. Here’s everything we know about the countdown in Fortnite Season 7, including when it will end, details about the upcoming Operation Sky Fire event, and all the latest rumors. What is the Fortnite Operation Sky Fire countdown for? Epic Games have confirmed that the countdown currently appearing in the Fortnite lobby and above Corny Complex is leading up to a dramatic live finale event known as Operation Sky Fire. After weeks of completing spy-related challenges for Imagined Order leader Doctor Slone, it seems as though Operation Sky Fire will finally bring the battle between the Imagined Order and the alien invaders to an explosive conclusion. Leaks have suggested that after various buildings at Corny Complex get abducted, a series of bombs placed by Doctor Slone will detonate, presumably taking the Mothership down in the process. It’s likely that you’ll play along as this happens during the event. What time does Operation Sky Fire start? The countdown timer in the Fortnite lobby is currently scheduled to expire on Sunday, September 12, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 9PM BST, which is when the Operation Sky Fire event will take place. There’s every chance that Epic could delay this end date, of course, but they’ve got plenty of time to make sure Season 8’s launch runs smoothly and to plan, so we’re expecting this countdown to stay on track. How to play the Operation Sky Fire event in Fortnite There will be an Operation Sky Fire playlist available 30 minutes before the event goes live in Fortnite, but it’s recommended that players are logged into the game an hour before the event to make sure they get in. You’ll be able to play Operation Sky Fire with up to 16 friends, so get planning now! Unlike the recent Rift Tour, it doesn’t seem there will be multiple times for this event, meaning it will only happen once. We’ll keep this article updated when new information emerges, so check back soon for more details.

  • Fortnite on Nintendo Switch finally gets Career page – but it doesn’t work – Dexerto

Fortnite on Nintendo Switch finally gets Career page – but it doesn’t work Fortnite players on the Nintendo Switch have finally been granted a ‘Career’ page after long demand – but it doesn’t seem to actually work. The Career tab shows players their lifetime stats, with information like total eliminations, wins and more, sorted by game mode (solos, duos etc.) Available since launch on console and PC, when Fortnite originally became available on the Switch, the Career tab was conspicuously absent. After months of asking, Epic Games finally blessed Switch users with the Career tab, but as players eagerly went to the new page, they were met with nothing but blank statistics. At first players reckoned that it simply didn’t track any previous wins, instead starting from zero at the point the Career page was added, but some players discovered that it didn’t even count any wins from after it was added either. Luckier players have had their wins and eliminations begin to track, starting from zero, while others are getting no functionality at all. Making matters worse, the team at Epic Games is currently taking a well earned break over the holiday period, so it looks like Nintendo players won’t be getting fix possibly until after the new year. So, if you’re a Fortnite player on the Nintendo Switch and care about your stats, you might want to avoid playing until after a fix is issued. For now though, it appears the new Career tab is just as useless as when it wasn’t available at all.

  • Fortnite on the Switch won’t require Nintendo Online – Dexerto

Fortnite on the Switch won’t require Nintendo Online Introduced during September’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo Online is a new service that allows users to play online, much like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold. However, it looks like Fortnite players won’t need to purchase this service in order to drop in the map with their friends. An FAQ posted by Nintendo about the service revealed that many first and third-party games would require Nintendo Online for online play, with Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and ARMS being just a few of them. The statement then reported that some titles wouldn’t be subject to this ruling, specifically citing Fortnite as a game that could be played online without the service. This spells good news for players who use the platform for Fortnite, specifically. This ruling is similar to Sony’s stance on the game, which doesn’t require a PlayStation Plus subscription for online play, either. While other games that won’t require Nintendo Online weren’t mentioned, buyers will be able to determine if titles need the service by checking out their product information on the Nintendo eShop. Fortnite is also a free-to-play title on the console, alongside other games like Paladins and Pokemon Quest. Read More: Fortnite fan submitted a Legendary Port-a-Fort concept moments before the Port-a-Fortress was announced – Nintendo Online is set to go live on September 18. The service will allow users to participate in online gameplay, as well as provide additional benefits like a collection of classic NES titles, and will gift members with some exclusive, special offers, as well. Nintendo Online comes with an array of subscription tiers, and features individual and family memberships.

Now available on just about every platform you can think of, Fortnite’s free-to-play revenue model quickly proved it could be successful by earning $300 million in a single month in April 2018. Here’s what we know, so far. In November 2023, Epic Games sent Fortnite players back in time to the island from Chapter 1 with Season OG. During the month-long season, players were able to relive the glory days of Battle Royale with the return of the OG loot pool and classic map. Due to the game’s record-breaking player count and overall popularity, the season quickly gained a lot of steam among players. Finally, the first big rumor about the game mode has now surfaced, and it promises some significant changes. Fortnite OG’s return in 2024 won’t be “just the same” as previous version In a recent X post by well-known data miner ShiinaBR, the return of Fortnite OG might be different from last year’s version. As known by many, Season OG took players through a journey of Fortnite Chapter 1 from Seasons 5 to X in a matter of four weeks. However, now rumor from an employee has it that for the 2024 version, Epic Games is thinking about ways to make sure it’s “not just the same” as last time. While the previous version gave players Chapter 1, many are hoping Epic brings back the action-filled Chapter 2 days. One such player said, “They will probably do Chapter 2 instead of Chapter 1 tbh.” Another chimed in, “Add 100% accurate versions of the map for each season instead of the semi-accurate ones we had.” A third user added, “Rotate Chapter 1, 2, and 3 maps in the first 3 weeks of a month and the most played map of that month gets week 4 for that month.” A fourth one commented, “Make a ‘Legacy’ Mode. Old Movement, Old Loot Pools, Old Graphics.” While there’s no further info leaked about Fortnite OG’s return in 2024, we’ll keep you updated with all the latest news on the game mode right here at Dexerto.

So, in June 2023, Tfue said he was going to retire from streaming so he could get some time off and concentrate on his personal life. Those who enjoyed watching Tfue battle for the Victory Royale on the OG Fortnite map were thrilled in Doc’s recent update on his return, which will in turn bring back fond memories for his many followers across the world.

For the Rift-To-Go in particular, Fortnite players have been left baffled after finding out a secret trick that allows you to quickly cancel your rift and pick up an item. Fortnite OG player finds how to pick up an item using Rift-To-Go Popular Fortnite leaker and creator HYPEX shared their findings on Twitter/X with a clip showing how to execute the easy mantle trick. “Why did no one tell me this was possible? In order to execute the move, use your Rift-To-Go, and when the countdown timer hits 0.1 seconds simply just press your jump button in order to mantle and instantly cancel the rift. It may take a few attempts to master the move, but after a few tries it should become natural and can prove useful for various reasons. Fornite OG players soon flooded the comments to express how they were just as shocked to find out the trick as HYPE X. “Thank you! I’ve been trying to find a way to pick up a dropped item but it never worked this season,” a player responded. As another pleaded for Epic Games to not remove it: “Please don’t patch this!” With one calling it “Two million IQ.” Another player wasn’t as lucky when they discovered a certain death mechanic in Fortnite OG at the worst possible time.

  • Fortnite OG player gets trolled by Epic after hitting insane trickshot – Dexerto

Fortnite OG player gets trolled by Epic after hitting insane trickshot Epic GamesHitting a trickshot is certainly no easy feat, however for one Fortnite OG player even after perfectly executing their unbelievable shot, it didn’t go as expected. Fornite focused on its nostalgic roots with the launch of their throwback focused Chapter 4 Season OG update on November 3. Epic Games brought new and old returning players back to the classic Chapter 1 map, along with a whole heap of iconic features, weapons, cosmetics and more being added. Season OG has proved to be wildly successful since it launched, where it instantly broke Fortnite’s highest player count record with over 44 million players playing at one time. As players have continued to get back to grips with all the classic additions, players have been showcasing their skills around the island during their Battle Royale matches. One player in particular, with the use of the newly added Driftboard, was able to pull of a highly skilled trickshot and cleanly hit their enemy, however things didn’t work out perfectly. Fortnite player’s impressive trickshot turns into Epic fail Fortnite player Slosshy took to Reddit with their heartbreaking clip, as they were shown surging towards Loot Lake and Kevin the Cube on their Driftboard. After being catapulted high into the sky, the player can be seen carrying out various back flips before aiming and firing a perfect shot from their Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. Despite the insane trickshot attempt going perfectly and a zoomed in slow-mo clip confirming that the ememy was indeed hit right on the head, no elimination or even any damage was given. With the player stating they “will never do anything this cool again,” they were certainly frustrated, as many fans offered their support. “Honestly I’d say that counts. You’ve proven it would of hit, so I’d say you earned it,” one user commented, to which the trickshotter responded: “I did my job not my fault the game f*cked me. But damn it hurts to look at.” “Wow! Holy hell that is a good shot. Like so good you broke the game’s mechanics,” another said, as one added: “Yeah the game literally said, nah he couldn’t have made that shot.” A different Fortnite OG player has also had difficulties while playing the original Battle Royale version, but this time it was all their own doing after they completed “The worst fumble in Fortnite history.”

  • Fortnite OG player discovers unique death mechanic at the worst time – Dexerto

Fortnite OG player discovers unique death mechanic at the worst time Epic GamesWinning isn’t easy, but this Fortnite player had the win in their hands – that is, until they encountered a death mechanic only OG players remember. It’s safe to say Fortnite OG has been a huge success for Epic Games, with the blast to the past throwing Fortnite into uncharted territories. The larger-than-life battle royale hit insane player numbers on launch and shows no sign of slowing down. As the name implies, Fortnite OG is a romp through time, as the season launch brought players back to simpler days. Yet the goal remains the same: use whatever you can to earn the victory royale. Unfortunately, one player had victory in their fingers until it slipped away in the blink of an eye. Fortnite OG player claims title of “worst fumble in Fortnite history” In a duos match, Fortnite OG player MunchyChipzzz found themselves in the top three. They engaged in a box fight with Jack Skellington and emerged victorious. They went on to pop a Mini Shield and then exited the box after they secured the kill to help their duo. Unfortunately, their duo went down, but MunchyChipzzz was there to clean up as they finished the opposing team and moved into second place. What happened next was insanely unlucky, as they placed a Cozy Campfire down to heal the party. In a lapse of judgment, they stepped on the campfire and immediately died of burn damage. Viewers were pretty shocked this mechanic is possible, as it’s quite rare. “Ok, that’s somewhat special. First time I see this kind of death,” one player commented. Another player was confused with what they just watched: “The OG campfire wouldn’t do this. Not being able to stand on fire was added in season 2 I think?” For those keeping track, Chapter 2 Season 3 introduced Fire Damage to Fortnite, allowing something like this to happen. Kudos to Fortnite for being realistic, although this Fortnite OG player suffered for it.

As they are shown simply walking up to a massive haul of loot including a Chug Jug and Scoped Assault Rifle which they took, they then attempted to walk off. After they just edged past some of the loot, they were instantly eliminated as the game stated: “You eliminated yourself.” The player posted the video stating they had “found Fortnite’s deadliest patch of grass,” as the post soon gained traction with various players flooding in with their responses. “Maybe that’s why it was named “Fatal Fields,” the top comment read, as another shared their experience: “This happened to my roommate as well. Figured it was due to some sort of cheating via other players.” Others highlighted it was all part of the Fortnite OG experience: “Just like the real Chapter 1 map. At certain points in Chapter 1 I remember there being about 5 instant death areas just like this.” “These instant death areas were much more of a problem in Chapter 1. There were very few in any other chapters,” another added. • Fortnite ‘offline mode’ could be the perfect next addition – Dexerto

Fortnite ‘offline mode’ could be the perfect next addition The Fortnite community has come together to request a new feature from Epic Games, allowing them to play offline for practice. Fortnite has commonly been applauded for listening to its audience and giving players what they want, despite facing criticism from time to time for certain features or changes. This new Offline Mode concept, posted to Reddit on December 30, has picked up a lot of support from players, so Epic Games will want to keep a close eye on it. The concept, created by Reddit user vandtex, is an offline mode that would allow players to get some practice. “Play solo matches against bots while offline! Only this mode is available to play while offline. It will be a separate download to save space if you’re not interested,” says the Redditor’s post. Essentially, it would work outside of the core game and allow players to not have to face off against real competition, and within 12 hours of the concept being posted, it had already received nearly 7000 upvotes and a multitude of supporting comments. You can see the appeal of an offline mode such as this for many reasons. It would be great for beginners who are just trying to get used to the mechanics, learn the map, and understand which weapon loadouts work best for them. It would also allow players to keep playing if their internet is having issues, keeping players in the game and able to play as much as they want. Finally, it would also be great simply as a warm-up technique – face off against a group of bots to get your aim and building on point. It’s something commonly utilized in other games such as shooters like Call of Duty and CS:GO. Epic Games representatives have been known to frequent the subreddit at times, in order to get feedback or provide information to players on a range of things, so it’s very likely somebody will see this concept. Whether anything actually comes from it, though, can not yet be said.

  • Fortnite officially extends Chapter 2 Season 2 – Dexerto

Fortnite officially extends Chapter 2 Season 2 Epic GamesAs many players had predicted, Epic Games announced that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 has been extended. There probably weren’t too many people who didn’t see this coming. The combination of everything going on in the real world and the fact that Chapter 2 Season 1 lasted five months seemed to be more than enough to signal an inevitable Season 2 extension. Chapter 2 Season 2 was set to end on April 30 at the end of the month, kicking off the third season of the second chapter at the same time, but that’s obviously no longer the case. On April 14, Epic released a blog post that informed players they wouldn’t be releasing Season 3 on April 30 as first planned. Instead, Epic have pushed the start date for Season 3 to June 4 – over one month after the originally scheduled release date. In the meantime, Epic has promised fans “multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises.” The blog post also said that Epic’s “plan” is to release Season 3 on June 4, which means that date is subject to change. Hopefully, the devs mean it when they say they have some new content in the works during the downtime. Chapter 2, Season 1, was generally considered by players to be one of the most boring times in Fortnite’s history when it comes to new content. For the five months of the first season, all we had was the Harpoon Gun, Winterfest, and a Star Wars event to hold us over. Season 2 though has already proven to be much more exciting, with both map changes, new items, and the new helicopters added to the game, making things much more entertaining than Season 1. With the new end date pushed back more than a month, hopefully, Epic has more new content coming to keep Season 2 from eventually becoming dull as well. However, since there’s more time left in Season 2 this gives players longer to max-out their golden skins, which is very good news for those who might not be able to sink hours into grinding away every day.

  • Fortnite offering free refunds after accidentally releasing rarest skin in Item Shop – Dexerto

Fortnite offering free refunds after accidentally releasing rarest skin in Item Shop Epic GamesOne of the rarest skins in the game, The Paradigm was accidentally released in the Fortnite Item Shop and Epic is now offering refunds to players who copped it. Fortnite cosmetics are a popular topic among both players and fans who like collecting skins, emotes, and other items for their lockers. Some items are only accessible through the Battle Pass, while others may be purchased in the Item Shop. However, Epic mistakenly dumped one of the game’s rarest skins, The Paradigm, in the Item Shop, which was introduced in Season X for 1,200 V-Bucks and has been unavailable for nearly 1700 days. But this changed fast when Epic published the skin in the Item Shop at the August 6 shop reset and then deleted it within minutes of recognizing the error. However, that window was plenty for enthusiastic players to grab the skin, as well as those who previously bought it, blasting developers for their “fumble”. Shortly after, Epic released a statement on their X account stating the accidental release of the skin and informed players who purchased The Paradigm during the shop’s rotation, could keep the Outfit and Epic would refund their V-Bucks soon. “We plan to create a brand new variant of The Paradigm that we’ll grant exclusively to people who purchased the original Outfit. Original purchasers will also have the option to refund this item if they’d like”, they further informed affected players. The retraction and this announcement brought joy among the player community who commended Epic on this “W move”. One such player said, “Yes give her the black and red style she always deserved.” Another chimed in, “Another day, another victory for the OGs.” A third one wrote, “This is honestly a huge W. Glad you guys listened to the community.” While The Paradigm might not make a return to the shop soon enough, Fortnite has announced that all future Battle Pass cosmetics will not be exclusive anymore and may be released in the Item Shop soon after a pass expires.

  • Fortnite official survey reveals Young Kratos skin may finally return in Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto

Fortnite official survey reveals Young Kratos skin may finally return in Chapter 5 Season 2 SonyFortnite’s official survey has uncovered that a fan-favorite classic skin could be finally making the perfect return in Chapter 5 Season 2, but this time with a younger version. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is just days away, as players have been eagerly awaiting the upcoming rumored Greek mythology theme. Epic first officially teased the Greek-theme for Season 2 after deploying the Odyssey NPC at Ruined Reels, complete with her own mysterious dialogue and quests. The Titan Hand and Pandora’s Box chest in-game event has since appeared on the Island, as players from all around the world team up to break it open. Now, an official Fortnite survey from Epic Games has revealed the iconic Greek god Kratos may finally make his return in Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite survey suggests Kratos may return in Season 2 Trusted Fortnite and leaker ShiinaBR, revealed: “In a new survey, Epic Games mentioned ‘(2005) God of War.’ “These surveys often include upcoming collabs, so if Epic plans to add Young Kratos to Fortnite, there really is no better time than to add him in a Greeky Mythology season.” Kratos first appeared in Fortnite over three years ago, all the way back in Chapter 2 Season 5. The Greek god of strength and power joined with his own Outfit and various cosmetics inspired by the famous franchise. He was added just after the release of PlayStation’s God of War Ragnarok and soon became a fan-favorite among the community, who have often called for his return. Epic Games have not officially confirmed that Kratos will be returning in the form of his younger self ‘Young Kratos.’ However, Epic Games’ Chief Creative Officer and Fortnite loremaster Charlie Wen designed this version of the skin, so there is a high probability it might be released. With the theme also being rumored to be Greek mythology, it serves as the perfect opportunity. As mentioned by ShiinaBR, Fortnite’s surveys have a habit of asking players about certain collaborations, before ultimately joining the game in the future, so we’ll have to wait and see.

  • New Fortnite feature will reportedly unlock NPC Commands – Dexerto

New Fortnite feature will reportedly unlock NPC Commands Epic GamesA notable Fortnite leaker claims Epic Games will soon add a new feature that unlocks NPC Commands for players. NPCs, or Characters, joined Fortnite in December 2020’s Chapter 2 Season 5 update, providing players with new to do on the map. Initially, users could interact with upwards of 40 different Characters, though that number has fluctuated over time. As of now, approximately 30 NPCs remain in-game, offering quests, loot, and various services to those who want to invest more in the experience. Should the recently leaked details prove accurate, Fortnite players will soon receive additional ways with which to interact with Characters. NPC Commands are reportedly coming to Fortnite Well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX claims an NPC Commands feature is coming to Fortnite sometime “soon.” Apparently, once the supposed update goes live, players will have the option to command characters to carry out tasks at the press of a button. What those tasks may entail presently remains a mystery. HYPEX did note, however, that the command wheel itself might bear a lot in common with Fortnite’s emote wheel. It’s also not clear when exactly Epic Games plans on deploying the new gameplay feature. Fortnite leaks have become a regular occurrence over the years, thanks in no small part to datamining. Another leak, for example, suggests an unannounced third Arcane collaboration will add Mel to the popular online title. While players await news about Fortnite’s alleged NPC Commands and other leaks, the recently released 21.30 update added fresh content to the mix. The Prime Shotgun counts as one such addition, its damage boost after a reload proving rather effective in combat. New summer bundles and skins entered the Item Shop with 21.30, as well.

  • Fortnite November 5 Content Update: Unofficial patch notes – Dexerto

Fortnite November 5 Content Update: Unofficial patch notes Epic Games dropped a surprise Fortnite content update on Tuesday, November 5, and with no patch notes available, here’s everything that has changed since it released. Throughout Chapter 2, Season 1, official patch notes have yet to be released, which used to give fans of the popular battle royale game information on what had changed or been introduced each week. In fact, the developers didn’t even announce the November 5 update, instead surprising players by putting it live early in the morning, with no downtime. With no official word from Epic on what has changed, it can be hard to figure out what’s new, but let’s take a look at everything we know was included. Harpoon Gun The headline addition in Fortnite’s November 5 update is the Harpoon Gun, a brand-new weapon that allows players to drag enemies closer to them should their harpoon latch onto them. It deals 75 damage-per-hit, along with a 150 hit to any structures, meaning it blasts through wooden walls with ease. Unlike the Grappler, it can’t be used to move around the map, but should you find yourself near water, it can be used to pull weapons and fish out of the rivers and streams without the use of a fishing rod. Fortnite Weapon Upgrade Bench Weapon Upgrade Benches received some changes in the content update, with Epic deciding to increase their spawn rate to give players a greater chance of finding and using one to bump up the rarity of the weapons in your inventory. Previously, 75% of the 14 benches would spawn at any time, but following the update, the game’s developers have turned the rate up to 100%, meaning you are guaranteed to find all of them on the map. If you haven’t used them yet, or aren’t sure how they work, you can use our Weapon Upgrade Bench guide to make the most of the utility. Halloween theme removed With Halloween now finished, the Fortnitemares decorations that hung around the island have been removed, and Epic Games also reverted the Rocket Launcher so it no longer fires explosive pumpkins at your opponents. The good news is that you shouldn’t have long to wait for a new theme, though, with Christmas decorations expected to land next month.

  • Fortnite now lets players build custom LEGO islands & earn profit from them – Dexerto

Fortnite now lets players build custom LEGO islands & earn profit from them Epic GamesFortnite has added new assets, tools, and templates for players to use to make their own LEGO Fortnite island, as well as three new LEGO game modes. Fortnite has become more than just a Battle Royale since the introduction of Creative. Now, players can also enjoy a variety of player-made maps in the community tab using in-game assets. Recently at the Game Developers Conference event in San Fransisco, Fortnite made an announcement regarding adding tools in Unreal Editor that’ll allow players to craft their own island in LEGO Fortnite. A separate open-world survival mode added in Chapter 5, Season 1. Granted, players will have to make sure that their LEGO Fortnite island adheres to the creator rules and meet the maximum age rating. But as of now, there are already four different templates that players can choose to help them get started: New LEGO Fortnite island templates players can choose from Home Builder: An open environment in which players can build their own dream home and neighborhood using the LEGO brand and Fortnite assets. Obstacle Course: A platforming island-type lobby featuring different obstacles and devices that players can place in the map’s layout. Additionally, new LEGO Fortnite modes have arrived in the game today to shake things up. Players can now also jump into three new game modes: LEGO prop hunt, Battle Arena, and Cat Island Adventure.

  • Fortnite Nog Ops lookalike skin leaked for Winterfest event – Dexerto

Fortnite Nog Ops lookalike skin leaked for Winterfest event As we approach Christmas, more and more holiday-themed Fortnite skins are popping up in the game and the latest leak looks to be a spin on the popular Nog Ops skin. Fortnite always has some sort of event going on to coincide with a holiday and things haven’t changed this holiday season as we’re currently in the midst of the Winterfest event. Plenty of new skins have already arrived, and that’s not even including the plethora of Star Wars ones that have arrived. Epic Games have really been striking while the iron is hot and have already delivered some great looking ones. However, according to this new leak, it turns out that the best might still be on the way. Nog Ops is one of the most popular holiday skins and it looks like Epic will be doubling down on that by introducing either a new skin or a style based on it. This information comes from an image of an email sent out by Epic, which was then posted to Twitter by HYPEX. It shows a bunch of skins in the image, but the one on the far right has not yet been released, indicating it could be arriving in the near future. What we don’t know yet is if this will be a new skin entirely or if it’s just going to be a style for the Nog Ops. If we had to guess, it’ll be a new skin since it’s a different character model, even if the clothes are pretty close. With under a week until Christmas arrives, we’re quickly running out of time for this skin to release if Epic Games wants it to arrive before then. Since the character is wearing a Santa hat, we have to imagine that is what the developers are going for so be on the lookout for this skin or style to arrive within the next few days. As you wait for the skin, you can check out the Fortnite Winterfest event and unlock a new present each day. On top of that, there are plenty of challenges to complete so make sure you get those out of the way before they are gone for good.

  • Fortnite Nitro Barrel trick lets you launch yourself high in the sky – Dexerto

Fortnite Nitro Barrel trick lets you launch yourself high in the sky epic gamesThe Nitro Barrel in Fortnite can provide better mobility when you use this trick alongside these items in Chapter 5, Season 3. Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 is brimming with tons of mobility items, giving the game a change of pace. In addition to Mythic Cars and Nitro Fists, the season has also introduced Nitro Barrels that give players the ability to gain an extra boost in movement and reload speed, among other things. You can find Nitro Barrels scattered all around the map out in the open. While similar boost effects also apply to vehicles, a player has revealed that by using a combination of other items, these barrels can offer much more mobility on foot by launching you in the air. As showcased in a clip in a Reddit thread, to pull this off, you’ll need to switch your weapon to your pickaxe and hit the Nitro Barrel with it. As soon as the animation for the barrel to launch triggers, you’ll need to mantle on it. This will give you the Nitro effect and launch you into the air. For extra mobility, you can also opt to use a Flowberry Fizz on yourself before hitting the barrel with a pickaxe. Assuming you’ve managed to pull this off, your character can essentially super jump to the other side of the map. This trick makes it perfect if you’re looking for an easy way to rotate without finding a Launch Pad or trying to distance yourself from enemies around you. It could be hard to mantle on it if you’re not fast enough. But overall, it’s worth a try, especially if you’re not a fan of using cars this season. The game’s meta is constantly changing with Fortnite occasionally rolling out hotfixes, balance changes, and vaulting weapons. That said, players have continued to show that regardless of what’s thrown at them, there are tricks you can use to get an advantage.

  • Fortnite ‘no build’ mode idea divides players over making the game noob friendly – Dexerto

Fortnite ‘no build’ mode idea divides players over making the game noob friendly Epic GamesThe amount of fun you have in Fortnite largely spends on how well you adapt to the building mechanics that separate it from other battle royales. So much so, the idea of a ‘no-build’ mode has been kicked around in the community, but the debate has the player base divided. Despite being into its third chapter, Fortnite still attracts millions of dedicated players every single day. The battle royale formula Epic struck has let Fortnite dominate the gaming space in recent years, and it shows signs of slowing down. Fresh ideas have come thick and fast over the years, with Chapter 3 introducing devastating tornadoes and adorable Klombos. But it’s Fortnite’s oldest feature has kicked started a huge discussion recently – building. Building has always been an integral part of the game, and many fans feel that a permanent ‘no-build’ mode would be perfect for those who prefer a more traditional third-person shooter. However, the idea has sparked fierce debate among Fortnite players, and the community is divided. Reddit user BlameNuggie brought up the issue once again, and their post received over 700 replies. Many of these responses seemed to back the idea of a mode without building, to give those less talented at making structures a more level playing field. “I would love a no building / limited mats mode. It would be fun for a casual player like me,” said one player. “When I die, I’d rather it be from someone more skilled than me at aiming, not because I’ve spent all my ammo knocking down an infinite wall,” said another. Other more casual users argued that the time commitment needed to become a competitive builder is too great. A mode where there isn’t an issue would let them they enjoy Fortnite without getting overwhelmed with hardcore players. “Not everyone wants to spend time doing nothing but practice building. I don’t have dozens of hours every week to sit there and grind. A mode where it’s not who can build the best would be much appreciated.” Introducing this as a separate mode would give players the choice of which one they want to enter. But some believe that a no-build mode would take away from the game overall. “Are you actually dumb? The whole reason this game is different from other BRs is the building, taking it away would completely ruin the point of the game,” said one user. “You can’t expect OG Fortnite to come back, people have to improve at the game.” “You just make excuses about why you’re s**t at the game, blaming that game and not you.” Comment by from discussion inFortNiteBR Arguments about introducing a game-type like this permanently seem to have split the community. But there is always the option for Epic to bring it in as an LTM similar to the Imposters Mode from Chapter 2. This way, the devs could test the waters before making it a permanent feature. Given how hotly the topic has been debated, though, you can understand the hesitancy. Until Epic either bites the bullet and drops a ‘no-build’ mode in Fortnite, or addresses the calls for one, the discussion doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon.

  • Fortnite: Ninja stunned by overpowered Storm Scout Sniper exploit – Dexerto

Fortnite: Ninja stunned by overpowered Storm Scout Sniper exploit Twitch: Ninja / Epic GamesEpic Games added the brand new Storm Scout Sniper Rifle to v9.41 Content Update, and after using it during his July 24 stream, Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins was stunned by an exploit with the gun’s recoil system. The Storm Scout Sniper is the latest addition to the game’s myriad of long-distance weapons, but its special scope that shows where the storm is headed sets it apart from the other guns in its class. Alongside the handy storm device, it certainly packs a punch with base damage scores of 81 and 85, and an exploit for the weapon that means that it fires perfectly straight when hipfired makes it one of the most deadly items on the map right now. Hopping on to the popular battle royale game following the update, Ninja picked up the brand-new Storm Scout Sniper Rifle, and saw his chat explaining to him about the exploit that makes the weapon deadly when hipfired. After listening to his chat, the streamer tried it out, only to find that it wasn’t working, with his bullets flying haphazardly. The Twitch streamer quickly figured out the problem though, and realised that by scoping in and then firing, the weapon would shoot in a perfectly straight line from hipfire, with no need to aim in again. Ninja explained: “If I ADS… Yeah. Wow. Alright. So you’ve got to ADS and then [it works].” While he could see the power, Ninja admitted that he didn’t find it overly enjoyable. That was, until, he cracked an enemy who was flying beside him with a hip fired shot, dealing 81 damage in the process. “I just don’t really see the fun in it,” stated the 28-year-old, mere seconds before he blasted the enemy, before admitting: “Ok, that was fun.” Ninja was just as shocked by the weapon’s overall damage, expressing his surprise on the usefulness of the storm tracker, before yelling in astonishment when he dealt 201 damage to an opponent with a perfectly placed headshot. While the weapon seems incredibly powerful, fortunately competitors at the Fortnite World Cup won’t have to deal with it, as it appears that it won’t be available during the tournament. Whether this is because of the issues that are affecting the weapon, or because they felt it was released too close to the start of the tournament remains to be seen, but fans will be hopeful that the developers can fix the exploit quickly so they can stop getting beamed by a hip-firing opponent.

  • Fortnite: Ninja takes X-4 Stormwing highlights to new heights with incredible double hijack – Dexerto

Fortnite: Ninja takes X-4 Stormwing highlights to new heights with incredible double hijack Epic GamesTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has already produced some of Fortnite’s most incredible plays but the streamer may have taken it to new heights with his recent play. The beginning of Fortnite Season 7 gave players some new tools to make some jaw-dropping plays, especially with the addition of the X-4 Stormwing. The attack plane already led to some amazing highlights but, unsurprisingly, Ninja has taken it to an entirely new level. Being chased down by two Stormwings, Ninja began popping off shots to damage the plane, their pilots and passengers. He was able to knock one passenger off one plane before another began a diving run at him. After building cover to slow the first Stormwing down and defend himself, Ninja immediately jumped on the plane that had swooped to the floor to finish him off. With no protection, the pilot was at Ninja’s mercy and the streamer quickly finished them off with a shotgun shots to the head. After disembarking from the first plane, Ninja was able to glide towards the second plane which had been swooping and loop-de-looping above him. After jumping on to the wing, Ninja quickly popped the second pilot with another shotgun shot – wiping them out of the game. Clearly pleased with his work, the streamer immediately called out: “Boom baby, let’s go! Double hijack, are you out of your mind?!” In awe of what his pal had just done, Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, replied: “That should be bannable, what you just did to them.” 500

Fortnite: Official trailer for the Ninja x iKON might have been leaked Tomorrow, March 16, there will be a special Fortnite event featuring Ninja and K-Pop band iKON as part of promoting the Samsung Galaxy S10. The trailer for this event appears to have been leaked. Like the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy skin before it, the new Galaxy S10 phones will be coming with a special pack to owners of the phone. If you purchase the Galaxy S10 you’ll be rewarded with the ‘iKONIK’ skin along with the ‘Scenario’ emote. The event being held tomorrow will likely end up showing this skin and emote in action in case you’re still on the fence about it. Leak: Ninja X iKON Samsung Event Trailer pic.twitter.com/3SJYXHLipy — HartesPL (@HartesPL) March 15, 2019 A special tournament is taking place during the event where the winner will get a chance to play Fortnite on stage with both Ninja and the members of iKON. The event features a brand new creative map made just for the event. Doors open for the event beginning at 12 pm EST and runs until 8 EST. A trailer for the event, which has not been confirmed as real, has leaked showing a mode called Detonation will be active during the event. The roughly minute and a half trailer shows players on the attacking side will have to destroy two objectives while the defenders will have to prevent this from happening for 10 minutes. This is certainly a side of Fortnite we’ve never seen before. It’s unclear whether the entire event will be played with this mode but signs are pointing to that since the map was created especially for this event. We’ll be able to find out for certain once the event begins tomorrow. In the meantime, you can view the trailer above.

  • Fortnite: Ninja and NICKMERCS offer their opinions on why the game has gotten a lot harder – Dexerto

Fortnite: Ninja and NICKMERCS offer their opinions on why the game has gotten a lot harder Fortnite includes tons of goofy and colorful items that cover-up the game’s deep competitive nature, and popular Twitch streamers think they know why the game’s been more difficult to play. Fortnite Battle Royale came out in September of 2017 and has since been the host to many highlight reels, increasing user base and large prize pool tournaments, leading to notable names recognizing the game’s community improvement over since launch. Popular streamers Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and 100 Thieves Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff commented on the state of the game, in particular to its difficulty, and had similar messages detailing the community’s overall competitive development. For NICKMERCS, the competitiveness has dwindled the possibilities of situations where someone can earn 20 or more kills in a game because of how far the average user has come in Fortnite. “The average Fortnite player is way better than they used to be. There was a time when 99% of Fortnite players didn’t even build.” NICKMERCSsaid. “… I used to be able to get 20 kill wins every stream. But now, getting a 20 kill win is YouTube worthy, that’s big.” Read more: Fortnite: Epic Games reveal EVERY change coming to the X-4 Stormwing plane in v7.10 update – Ninja’s view on the matter is similar. Twitch’s biggest streamer says that players have found their own way to excel in any given match on Fortnite that has contributed to the sweeping improvement in the player base. “There’s always going to be that incredible builder or shooter,” Ninja said. “You can not be as talented as somebody at shooting or building, but if you make the right decisions and rotate, you can be one of the best players in the game” Read more: Fortnite: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor Alfonso Ribeiro suing Epic Games for using Carlton Dance as emote – The game isn’t lacking in users and as long as it remains popular Fortnite will actively enjoy an increasingly competitive fan-base.

  • Fortnite: Ninja criticizes Epic Games for adding planes and Infinity Blade to Winter Royale – Dexerto

Fortnite: Ninja criticizes Epic Games for adding planes and Infinity Blade to Winter Royale Top Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has criticized Epic Games for the timing of their updates coinciding with the Winter Royale tournament, saying “it’s not what I qualified for.” The Winter Royale is Epic’s first ever open tournament, boasting a $1 million prize pool across the NA and EU competitions, which players qualified for through the in-game playlists. Anyone could qualify, meaning it levelled out the playing field by not using any invitationals, but Ninja was among the few who placed high enough to make it in. However, on December 11, the new Infinity Blade was added to Fortnite, but instead of being in its own limited time playlist, it was added to every single mode – including the Winter Royale matches. The Infinity Blade is a single spawn weapon, which grants players double health and shield, and even regenerates health and shield upon every kill. It gives the player who wields it a higher jump and the ability to smash down builds instantly. Combined with the addition of the plane at the start of Season 7, as well as some major map changes, the version of Fortnite which is being played in the Winter Royale finals is vastly different to that which qualifiers were played on, as Ninja explains. Ninja was somewhat empathetic to Epic’s predicament: “We qualified for this when Risky [Reels] was still in it, obviously the snow map, that’s understandable, they’re not going to delay a whole Season for this tournament.” But, like many competitive players, Ninja thinks the inclusion of new planes and the Infinity Blade was a step too far, saying “to add the sword and to have these planes, in this tournament, it’s just not what I qualified for.” Ninja also said that the addition of the Infinity Blade and planes was a direct cause for some players not qualifying. GGs to everyone who qualified today! I did not so I will be hosting a viewing party for the finals 😀 Love doing those anyways with some drinks and epic additional commentary! Planes and swords were what caused a HUGE amount of top players to not qualify and for that I am sry 🙁— Ninja (@Ninja) December 11, 2018 The problem for Epic lies with the balance between new updates which the majority of the casual player base can be excited about, with the needs and wants of the competitive community. More: CouRage finds hilarious way to advertise his Twitch and Fortnite creator code on TimTheTatman’s stream – Not having the Infinity Blade kept separate in its own LTM would have been a simple solution to this, but Epic clearly wanted it to be a main feature of Season 7. Other pro players, such as Ghost Gaming’s ‘Bizzle’ and FaZe Clan’s ‘Avxry’ have also been vocal about just how detrimental this new update has been for competitive Fortnite.

Fortnite: NICKMERCS shows what console players are capable of with impressive Pop-Up Cup clutch Epic Games | NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is widely regarded as one of the best console Fortnite players on the planet, but that doesn’t stop him from surprising his fans on a regular basis with his performances. Nick has competed against the best PC players in various competitions in 2018, armed with nothing but his trusty PlayStation 4 controller, and placed well more often than not. The popular Twitch streamer once again showed what he’s made of during a pop-up cup duos game on November 2, clutching a 1 vs 4 situation with some quick building and even quicker thinking. NICKMERCS’ teammate, Nicholas ‘Zoof’ Zufan, had already been downed, but the 100 Thieves man managed to play the late game to perfection, eliminating all four of the remaining opponents using a range of weapons and hitting a ridiculous shot on the final player. “Oh my god!” exclaimed Zoof as Nick finished off the game and secured the Victory Royale. With more Fortnite competitions being announced on a regular basis, and the in-game pop-up cups being a huge success, we’re constantly seeing new console players stepping up to challenge PC stars. Along with NICKMERCS, Ghost Gaming’s Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad is probably the most well-known console player thanks to his 11th place finish at the Summer Skirmish Finals and 9th place alongside Nick in the Fall Skirmish Duos Finals. It will be interesting to see whether these console phenoms will continue to perform well as the Fortnite esports scene grows and more new players begin to compete.

  • Fortnite: Leaked Zapper Trap coming soon looks insane – Dexerto

Fortnite: Leaked Zapper Trap coming soon looks insane Epic GamesReputable Fortnite data miner ‘FortTory’ has revealed that fans can expect to see a ‘Zapper Trap’ coming to Epic Games’ battle royale soon. FortTory is one of the more reputable leakers in the Fortnite community, having correctly leaked a number of significant changes in the past. Back in April, they correctly showed how Tilted Towers and Retail Row would look following the explosion of the volcano in the northeast corner of the map. On August 31 FortTory leaked another new item on its way to Fortnite. This time it’s a trap known as ‘The Zapper Trap’. The data miner also included a brief description of how it can be placed and the rarity of the item. The Zapper Trap appears to be similar to past attempts at electric traps in Fortnite. None of the past efforts at electric items (such as the Zapotron) have lasted. While not clear how it will work, fans have been speculating whether it will just deal damage, or will stop fans from being able to move as well. According to the leaks, the Zapper Trap will be epic rarity and can be placed on floors, walls and roofs. In a divergence from current formula, the leaked files suggest it can be placed on enemies’ walls. However, FortTory is quick to point out that this unique feature cannot be confirmed until the item has actually been released, particularly given how it contrasts to other traps in the game. He finishes off the tweet by stating that the item can be stacked in 4s, but this will be subject to change depending on the strength of the item once it’s in the game. according to the current files The Zapper Trap will be Epic Rarity and can be placed on Floors, Walls and Roofs. Also it mentions that it can be placed on enemy buildings…. interesting but we cant be sure till the item actually has been released. The Max Stack size is 4 pic.twitter.com/oTKjdiKz5c — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) August 31, 2019 Fans speculated that it will deal damage to all players caught in it, hence why it can be placed on enemies’ walls. Obviously this is unconfirmed and will remain that way until Epic Games confirm its addition. While the timing of its implementation was not part of the leaked information, the fact it is currently in the game’s files suggests it will be on its way soon.

Does Fortnite have a New Year event & free reward this year? Epic GamesWondering if there’s going to be a New Year event in Fortnite this year? Here’s what we know so far, as well as the availability of a reward. Live events are one of the key hallmarks of what made Fortnite a frontrunner of Battle Royale games. The game has hosted concerts featuring renowned musical artists to season-ending playable events. At the end of Chapter 4, Fortnite hosted one of its biggest live events featuring Eminem and revealed three new game modes. Although there was a period when players were missing live events, the game made a comeback with fresh content. Similarly, the ongoing Winterfest 2023 brought holiday vibes to the island with some themed challenges and rewards. Now as we head closer to 2024, players are wondering if Fortnite will have a New Year event and some free rewards. Well, we’ve got the answer right here. Does Fortnite have a 2024 New Year event? Players will also dance as soon as the countdown ends with the disco ball in the sky, which will act as a complete Boogie Bomb. Are there any free Fortnite rewards for New Year’s? However, in previous seasons, players have had access to a variety of new year-themed cosmetic items in the Item Shop, including Back Bling, Gliders, and Emotes. However, there’s one quest that requires players to witness the New Year ball drop which will grant them 15,000 XP. If any new information becomes available, we will update this section accordingly. • Fortnite New Year 2020 event weapon wraps leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite New Year 2020 event weapon wraps leaked In a surprise to nobody, it’s looking like there will be a New Year’s event in Fortnite and the weapon wraps that will be available have leaked. As we close out 2019, Epic Games will once again have a celebration prepared for players and there will be some cosmetics for players to pick up. There has been some sort of event for pretty much every holiday in Fortnite, so people saw this one coming from a mile away, but it doesn’t sound like it’ll be a whole lot different from the 2019 festivities. This news is courtesy of prominent Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi who confirmed the event and said it’ll look pretty much the same as it was before outside of the year changing. It’s still important to note that the event and wraps are just leaks for the time being so take the information with a pinch of salt. However, there will be a couple of things to look forward to. A pair of weapon wraps will make an appearance for the event, called New Year 2020 and Star Party respectively. also these are things One is winterfest one is shop pic.twitter.com/mB3NO3VpVS — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) December 27, 2019 The New Year wrap will be part of the Winterfest presents while the Star Party one will make an appearance in the item shop. No price was given for it so don’t go and spend all your V-Bucks right away if you plan on picking this one up. Outside of the wraps, it doesn’t look like there will be a whole lot else going on for this event. This isn’t all that surprising since game devs tend to take the holidays off work as a chance to rewind and if anybody needs a break, it’s Epic considering the number of updates that go into Fortnite. The end of the inaugural season of Chapter 2 has been pushed into January so Epic will need to fill in that extra time with some exciting events. We’ve already seen the Winterfest take up a large chunk of that time and with these mysterious blizzards that have been popping up around the map, we might be seeing a glimpse of the future already.

  • Fortnite: New ‘Unbalanced’ LTM concept sounds amazingly ridiculous – Dexerto

Fortnite: New ‘Unbalanced’ LTM concept sounds amazingly ridiculous Since its launch, Fortnite Battle Royale has featured numerous weapons, items, and vehicles that have been either nerfed or vaulted due to being overpowered. With the idea that so many of those weapons and items were unbalanced, reducing their effectiveness or removing them was an effort on the part of the developers to the keep the core default modes balanced and fair. However, Reddit user ‘blur_revision’ has thought of the idea of bringing them all back in a brand new Limited Time Mode that would appropriately be called ‘Unbalanced.’ This LTM would feature all of the weapons, items, and vehicles in the game, that were either nerfed or vaulted, but in their original, overpowered state and without the measures taken to reduce their effectiveness. Read More: Fortnite player comes up with fantastic idea for how to make pistols more viable and useful – Although this would mean that a lot of the vaulted items would be making a return, it should not be confused with a vaulted item LTM, as a lot of the weapons that are currently in the game would also feature, albeit pre-nerf. To give you an idea of what sort of weapons, items, and vehicles would be available in this LTM, here is a list of things that were either vaulted or nerfed in Fortnite due to being considered unbalanced: Drum Gun – Double Pump Meta – Remote Explosives – Infinity Gauntlet (Thanos) – Infinity Blade – Mounted Turrets – X-4 Stormwing – Guided Missile – 50 Round Compact SMG – Zapatron – Jetpacks – and much, much more! – Although the Reddit user doesn’t go into too much detail about his LTM concept, it would probably be better off if it only features the items that were unbalanced and not the full array of what’s also currently available in Fortnite and are not considered overpowered. Ironically, the fact that every item, weapon, and vehicle in the LTM would be unbalanced would make the mode itself very balanced since everyone will have access and be able to use overpowered things. The result would likely be hilariously chaotic as players will be able to eliminate with one another in ways that would remind everyone why the items were nerfed or vaulted in the first place.

  • Fortnite’s new weapon wraps already has fans creating incredible mock-ups – Dexerto

Fortnite’s new weapon wraps already has fans creating incredible mock-ups The new season of Fortnite has introduced weapon wraps that give your loadout a personalized spin, and fans of the game have already gone to work creating some incredible concepts. Fortnite Season 7 released on December 6, bringing along tons of new features like planes, new points of interests, and item wraps for fans to use and explore in creative ways. Reddit user ‘Aculeus’ shared some of their concepts for weapons that thematically fit into Fortnite with previously released character skins that would complete the look for a lot of players. Their post included a skin for each of the Hand Cannon, Pump Shotgun, and SCAR weapon variants that added some more design to the base weapon rather than just a generic wrap. From top to bottom, the post highlights an Omega edition for the popular assault rifle that reflects the dark brooding elements of the skin with an orange vein that stretches from the stock to the magazine and barrel of the gun. Read more: Amazing clip shows how you can hijack enemy X-4 Stormwing planes in Fortnite using the Grappler – There’s a Fate Hand Cannon equipped with a glowing ominous orb on its rear sight. And an Ice King edition for the Pump Shotgun that has crowned at the base of the barrel, just in time for the holiday fixtures in the game. Since its launch in September of 2017, Fortnite Battle Royale has taken the unique and artistic creativity of its fans to incorporate into the game in some way. Now that skin wraps have made its way onto the live servers, it’s sure to be yet another avenue for fans to be involved in the game’s evolution.

  • Fortnite: New ‘Starry Suburbs’ location leaked from v10.40 Update – Dexerto

Fortnite: New ‘Starry Suburbs’ location leaked from v10.40 Update Data miners have revealed that a brand-new named location called Starry Suburbs is coming to Fortnite Battle Royale, after finding mentions of the point-of-interest in the game’s files. One of the things that sets Fortnite apart from other battle royale titles is the fact that its map is constantly changing, providing players with new places to land at, search for loot, and eliminate enemies on a regular basis. Players have already seen Gotham City make it’s arrival, replacing Tiltted Town and bringing in the Welcome to Gotham challenges, and data miners searching through the game’s v10.40 update files, which were accidentally released by Epic Games, have discovered another new location that is set to arrive very soon. While searching for the game’s upcoming Overtime challenges, which offer players the chance to earn some final Battle Stars before Season 10 ends, data miner @Asriel_Dev discovered a task which asked players to find a “Visitor recording in Gotham City and Starry Suburbs,” a point-of-interest that has never been heard of before. Where this location will appear remains to be seen, but it’s possible that we could see the north-western corner of the island get a major revamp, with a Rift Beacon appearing at Junk Junction which usually predates a massive change to the area. At the time of writing, leakers haven’t been able to find any visual elements for the POI, but based on the name, we can expect it to feature a number of houses, and probably look similar to Pleasant Park or Salty Springs. There will be a new POI called “”Starry Suburbs”” after the V10.40 update. This POI name was found by @Asriel_Dev in a string for leaked (Overtime?) Challenges: – “”Collect the Visitor recording in Starry Suburbs and Gotham City”” — ShiinaBR – Fortnite Leaks (@ShiinaBR) September 24, 2019 As it stands, there is no official release date for Starry Suburbs, with Epic Games yet to officially confirm that a map change is coming. Data miners state that it will appear following the v10.40 update though, which is likely to release on Wednesday, September 25, meaning it shouldn’t be long before we see it. With Overtime challenges usually starting around Week 10, which will start on October 2, we will definitely see Starry Suburbs in the next two weeks.

  • Fortnite: New leaks suggest that the castle at Polar Peaks could see major changes in Season 7 – Dexerto

Fortnite: New leaks suggest that the castle at Polar Peaks could see major changes in Season 7 The release of the brand new Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale has introduced a wide variety of new locations, including Polar Peak. Located in the new snow biome and near the area formerly occupied by Greasy Grove, Polar Peak is a large new mountain fully covered by snow. Sitting atop the mountain’s peak is a stone castle that was previously seen poking out of the iceberg when it was floating off of the coast of the Fortnite mainland. Players can enter and explore the castle, but the only areas that are accessible are the top levels, as the lower areas are blocked off due to the snow and ice. Shortly after the launch of Season 7, fans have theorized that the snow and ice will ultimately melt as the season goes along, opening up the lower levels for exploration. That theory has now been substantiated by new files in the Season 7 game files which have been discovered and leaked by Fortnite news and leaks outlet @FortTory. So the iceberg will slowly melt and melt till we can go inside… We got the files for it and the underground place is already there, so maybe tonight? at TheGameAwards? pic.twitter.com/wXhj2Nhig2— FortTory – Fortnite Leaks (@FortTory) December 6, 2018 According to the leaks above, the lower levels of the castle already do exist, and there are clear indications that the snow blocking access to them will be melting in increments. It appears that after every weekly game update, an additional layer of snow will melt, until the full castle becomes accessible several weeks into the season. A video published by popular Fortnite YouTuber ‘Happy Power’ tours the bottom levels of the castle using an exploit glitch that allows players to look below the snow. The content of the video make it quite clear that the lower area is already build and coded into the game, which means that it’ll be just a matter of time before players can get down there. Another Fortnite YouTuber, ‘WolfGaming’ release a quick video that demonstrates how players can go about looking below the snow near the castle at Polar Peak. Weekly map changes such as this are nothing new to Fortnite; one of the best examples of this was when the former Dusty Depot was hit by a meteor at the start of Season 4 to form Dusty Divot, which ultimately turned from being a barren rocky crater to a tree-filled location. Similarly, Tilted Towers and Risky Reels have both seen central structures destroyed in the past, only to be slowly repaired on a week-to-week basis. If the concept of melting snow and ice becomes reality in Season 7, this opens the door to a whole new world of possibilities that go beyond just the castle. New locations could come to be as the season goes on, and new surprises and secrets could be revealed to be hiding under the thick layer of snow.

  • Fortnite: New location ‘Risky Runways’ added to The Block – Dexerto

Fortnite: New location ‘Risky Runways’ added to The Block Epic GamesEpic Games has selected another fan creation and added it to The Block in Fortnite Battle Royale, in place of the original Risky Reels. The new location, Risky Runways, has a very unique design. It features a number of X-4 Stormwing attack planes, which lay on top of a huge metal structure, making it very different from the other destinations on the game right now. Risky Runways takes the place of Grimey Greens factory, which was added to the map on December 18. Other features of the new area include ramps, cargo containers and – you guessed it – runways. The creator of the design, Ake, has posted a promotional video for his project on YouTube, which will have been designed on the game’s Creative mode. Creative mode was added to Fortnite at the start of Season 7 and allows players to let their imaginations run wild as they can create their own designs with unlimited materials. The v7.00 update also saw the departure of Risky Reels from Fortnite – as it was replaced by The Block – with Flush Factory and Greasy Grove also exiting the game after an iceberg crash into the Southwest side of the map. Epic Games recently rolled out the v7.10 content update, which included the arrival of Christmas presents to the game for the festive period, however, another patch is set to arrive on December 30 just in time for New Years.

  • Fortnite: New leaks point to the possible return of Thanos LTM – Dexerto

Fortnite: New leaks point to the possible return of Thanos LTM Epic GamesFortnite has seen its fair share of movie-tie ins but almost none were so well received and immersive as the Infinity Gauntlet LTM that was first introduced in May 8. During the hype around the Avengers: Infinity War release in April of 2018, Epic Games and Marvel Studios saw it best to release a crossover and introduce Thanos to Fortnite in an LTM, but a new leak suggests that players might see him again. In a Tweet from FortTory, the leaker has found new files in the v7.01 update released on December 11 that has new information that could point to a return of the popular LTM. Jim…. Gaunlet… Jim (Thanos)… Uhm is the Thanos LTM really coming back? pic.twitter.com/fPSe0QpQQ9— FortTory – Fortnite Leaks (@FortTory) December 11, 2018 FortTory discovered files which include keywords such as “Gauntlet Pickup Derez” and “Gauntlet Pickup Fading,” both of which suggest a live, interactive item in Fortnite. The leak also came with a short audio clip under the “Carmine_Disapear_01” file, Carmine being associated with the Thanos event. • Fortnite: New leak hints at nostalgic fans getting a throwback LTM – Dexerto

Fortnite: New leak hints at nostalgic fans getting a throwback LTM Epic GamesAnother batch of Fortnite leaks have shined light on moves Epic Games might be intending to make in the near future, and one of them hints to taking a trip down memory lane with a classic Limited Time Mode (LTM). Fortnite LTM’s are a controlled chaos environment in which wacky, and sometimes downright broken elements are intentionally added to drastically change the game while staying available for a short period of time. In a new leak, files were uncovered that point to a Classic mode LTM that might make its way into the game soon. The mode’s description hints that only weapons from Season 1 and 2 will be made available. The mode was encrypted from a backlog of files found in the v7.10 update that released December 11. “Classic Battle Royale gameplay with only the weapons and items that existed during the first two seasons of the game,” the documents said. The only discrepancies that nostalgic Fortnite fans could point to are Vaulted weapons from seasons ago that haven’t showed up in any capacity since the early days of the game. Weapons such as the Zapotron and the Submachine Gun have been in the Vault for quite sometime. If the Classic LTM is going full Season 1 and 2, then Epic would need to make a decision if the weapons would make it onto the stage once again. The developers of Fortnite have no problem letting over-powered weapons run rampant in LTM’s as such from the incredibly well-received, but terribly unbalanced, Infinity Gauntlet from the LTM of the same name. This leak is sure to be music to Fortnite fans’ ears that have longed for the simpler days of the game.
