  • Fortnite: Incredible sequence demonstrates importance of health regeneration in competitive modes – Dexerto

Fortnite: Incredible sequence demonstrates importance of health regeneration in competitive modes The EU Fortnite Winter Royale Finals is underway and the Pop-Up Cup format being used for the event has already provided thrilling moments not normally seen in Fortnite. Epic Games introduced the Scavenger Pop-Up Cup rules with patch v6.30 on November 14 to encourage players to be more aggressive by rewarding them to engage in more fights. With the EU Winter Royale Finals using this new format, players are using it to pull off some incredibly impactful plays that stretch the limits of what was previously possible. One clip, in particular, demonstrates this perfectly as streamer Aphostle managed to use the health regeneration mechanic to survive far longer than he otherwise would have been able to. Aphostle was forced into an engagement that left him both in the storm and with 11 points of health. Since he managed to come out on top, the kill awarded him with 50 points of health. Despite being way outside the zone, he made the decision to enter another firefight, nabbing one more kill and getting 50 more points of health. As the sole survivor of the firefights, Aphostle had the time to loot and heal up to continue the game. Epic Games has invested a lot in Fortnite as an esport, but passive tactics used by teams and individual players were drawing out matches and making the viewing experience stale. Read more: Fortnite: Rapper 2 Milly hires lawyers to sue Epic Games for using his ‘Milly Rock’ dance as an emote – So far the changes to the rules have provided moments that would not have been possible without them giving this event more chances to thrive. The EU Winter Royale Finals finishes on December 1, and the NA Winter Royale Finals is set to kick off on December 11.

  • Fortnite increases movement speed following player outburst – Dexerto

Fortnite increases movement speed following player outburst Epic GamesWhile updates are customary in the dynamic world of Fortnite, the alterations made in the movement system, while aiming for enhanced realism, triggered concerns among players. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 brought about a visual feast for Fortnite fans. Collaborations with LEGO and Rocket League, coupled with a dazzling Battle Royale map overhaul, showcased Epic Games’ commitment to keeping the game visually captivating Among the myriad updates were the redesigned character movement animations. These changes were not just cosmetic as they were geared towards providing players with a smoother and more realistic in-game experience. However, the revamped movement system faced a mixed reception, especially due to a notable decrease in movement speed. Players accustomed to the brisk pace of previous seasons found the adjustment to be slow and janky. Acknowledging players’ concerns, Epic Games took to X to address the player backlash, following which a significant change has now been made. Epic Games increases movement speed following player backlash Well, it seems like Fortnite has implemented the changes they promised by increasing the movement speed and reverting the sluggish movement implemented at the start of Chapter 5 Season 1. While these changes were expected to be made in the next few weeks, as stated by Fortnite’s official account on X, it seems like the changes have already started rolling. The goal Epic Games set out was to set a faster pace without undermining the visual enhancements that Chapter 5 Season 1 aimed to deliver and it looks like the team delivered. A reliable data miner by the name of ShiinaBR posted a snippet of what seems to be the increased movement speed. Many users were quick to respond with how the newer animation looked much more fluid and clean, while others criticized it for looking the same. One user even stated that Epic needs to increase the animation speed since the movement speed looks “good” but the animation speed looks “exhausting.” Since the small clip only showed seconds of movement, certain users wondered if the movement while crouching had been fixed as well. Some users were quick to point out that now that Epic is done fixing the movement speed, they should fix the locker changes while lauding the developer.

  • Return of Fortnite’s Impulse Grenade hinted in leaks – Dexerto

Return of Fortnite’s Impulse Grenade hinted in leaks Epic GamesAccording to Fortnite leaker HYPEX, a future update could finally bring the Impulse Grenade back into the battle royale experience. The Impulse Grenade originally entered the mix in Fortnite’s 2.5.0 update in February 2018. These throwables proved so powerful that they were able to easily knock back enemies. As with most Fortnite items, though, Epic Games vaulted the Impulse Grenades, removing them upon the launch of Chapter 1 Season 6. While the grenades returned in Chapter 2 Season 8, they vanished once more in the following season. Now there’s reason to believe Epic may unvault the item sometime soon. Fortnite’s Impulse Grenade could reemerge in the near future Reputable leaker and Twitter user HYPEX recently shared a clip that showcases updated sounds and effects for the Impulse Grenade. HYPEX posited the changes could be reflected in the content update that went live on July 26. At the time of writing, however, the powerful item in question remains tucked away in the Fortnite vault. Adjustments to the grenade’s sounds and effects suggest it may come out of hiding in the not-so-distant future, however. Because the Shockwave Grenade previously replaced the Impulse Grenade, the latter’s hopeful return could herald the former’s exit. For now, though, this is merely speculative since Epic Games has yet to provide any concrete answers on the matter. Even without announcing news about the Impulse Grenade, Epic managed to stir up quite a bit of excitement recently. A John Cena skin will come to Fortnite’s Item Shop this week on July 28, complete with cosmetic items modeled after the former WWE superstar’s brand.

  • Fortnite: In-game food trucks could be the perfect replacements for vending machines – Dexerto

Fortnite: In-game food trucks could be the perfect replacements for vending machines Epic GamesFortnite players often find themselves in dire straights after a battle if they’re heavily damaged with no heals, so one fan thought of a way to order up some health using some features already in the game. Epic Games included a few restaurant chains within their game that added to the game’s loose lore, but a new concept could put those brands to work to serve up some much needed grub for injured players. In a post, Reddit user Natan33988 outlined his take on food trucks, making them a perfect location for players to heal up at a price. The idea would simply take the Durr Burger’s trucks already found around the map, and open them up for business. The mobile eatery would randomly spawn around the map, giving wandering players a rest stop to buy up heals and shields. According to the poster the menu would consist of two items, the Durr Burger that gives 20 health points and a Durr Sluchy that dishes out 20 shield points, each costing 50 wood a pop. The idea was well received by the community, but some were concerned with the low cost of the valuable heals. “They should cost maybe 150-200, because 50 materials is very little, and 20 shield/health is a lot if you can buy a lot,” one user said. The idea is a rough concept of a feature that would fit really well into the game, as consumables are already rife throughout the battle royale using the concept to localize and monetize the items.

  • Fortnite Ice King Challenges: How to unlock tier 100 Ice King skin, styles and cosmetic set – Dexerto

Fortnite Ice King Challenges: How to unlock tier 100 Ice King skin, styles and cosmetic set Season 7 in Fortnite has brought with it a new tier 100 skin, a devilish looking character called the ‘Ice King’, and like previous tier 100 skins, you will be able to progress his look by completing a set of challenges. World of Warcraft players may notice some similarities with the ‘Lich King’ and this new Ice King in Fortnite, not least because of the Ice King’s sword, which very much resembles Lich King’s ‘Frostmourne’ blade. The Ice King wouldn’t be a king without his castle, which appears to be sitting atop the Iceberg which has crashed into the Fortnite map for Season 7. After unlocking the Ice King, either by progressing the battle pass to tier 100, or by spending precious V-Bucks to expedite the process, players are then able to change his look. More: Fortnite Season 7 Update: v7.00 patch notes, Iceberg biome, Wraps, Battle Pass, Stormwing plane and more – Firstly, you will be able to change the Ice King’s color, which starts as an icy blue and progresses to red, then white, and finally gold. To unlock these extra colors, you will need to outlive opponents. After outliving 1000 opponents, you will get the Red makeover, 7,500 opponents for white, and finally 25,000 for Gold. As well as unlocking the new color styles for the skin, outliving opponents will also unlock exclusive cosmetic items for the Ice King. After outliving 500 opponents, you will get an exclusive back bling. Then, after outliving 2,500 opponents you will get a new pickaxe harvesting tool, which looks like a fancy staff. Finally, after outliving 15,000 opponents, you will unlock an exclusive emote. It’s unclear if this emote is only usable with the Ice King or not, but it looks like he will perform some kind of move with his sword/staff. Perhaps other characters would simply perform this emote with whatever pickaxe they have equipped. Ice King Challenges: Ice King is one of many progressive skins for Season 7 too, as the Zenith and Lynx skins, which come with the battle pass, also have new styles to unlock. You can see every skin from the Season 7 battle pass here. There are also a number of skins which have been leaked by data miners, which you can see here. These Ice King challenges are in addition to the standard weekly challenges, which also make a return for Season 7 – the week 1 challenges went live on December 6.

  • Fortnite players question why hurdling is taking nearly 6 months to fix – Dexerto

Fortnite players question why hurdling is taking nearly 6 months to fix Epic GamesEpic removed the hurdling mechanic from Fortnite roughly six months ago, and players are wondering what’s taking so long to fix it. The hurdle mechanic hit Fortnite during Chapter 4 Season 1. While some players were enamored by the new feature, others pushed for its removal. Ultimately, the latter group had their wish granted. Epic disabled the mechanic in mid-December 2022 due to issues, then brought it back soon thereafter. Only for it to still be broken. Because approaching waist-high objects automatically activated the animation, players were jumping over obstacles by accident. Worst still, a widespread bug often launched hurdling characters high into the air. On January 12, 2023, Epic announced it had “temporarily disabled hurdling,” with the promise of introducing fixes soon. Those fixes still haven’t come over 6 months after the removal of hurdling, leaving players wondering if the mechanic will ever come back at all. Fortnite fans wonder why the hurdle mechanic still isn’t fixed A Reddit user recently noted that developers “temporarily” removed hurdling from Fortnite Battle Royale 167 days ago. Talk about what’s taking so long fills the thread, with many wondering how Epic managed to drop the ball. Wrote one Redditor, “They really dropped the ball on that one. Hyped up the new chapter with this new mobility mechanic just for it to be a dud.” Someone else argued that it “definitely should’ve been fixed by now.” What frustrates others is the notion that much of Chapter 4’s design was geared toward hurdling. Apparently, its absence shows in more ways than one: “Half the chapter 4 map was built around hurdling. Then they removed and didn’t make any changes to those parts of the map…” Many players can’t help but wonder when the feature will finally make its grand return, but there are those who’d prefer hurdling to remain in the vault. “It was more annoying to have in… I kept hurdling over things I didn’t want to hurdle over. I’d be perfectly fine with it staying away for good,” said someone on the opposing side of the discussion. As of writing, Epic hasn’t offered a hint as to when Fortnite Battle Royale players can expect a hurdling fix. Those who’d like to experiment with the mechanic a bit further should give it a go on Creative Mode.

  • Fortnite Hunting Party Week 6 loading screen leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Hunting Party Week 6 loading screen leaked As is always the case after the a major Fortnite update, data miners have been hard at work finding things in the v6.21 patch files. The v.6.21 update, which was released on November 1, included a number of major changes to the game, including the introduction of the all-new ‘Balloons’ and the vaulting of three popular weapons. It also marked the start of Week 6 for the Battle Pass due to the fact that it was delayed by 24 hours. This means that the Week 6 challenges will also go live at some point on November 1. Thanks to some leaks, though, we can already show you what the Week 6 Hunting Party loading screen will look like! The Week 6 loading screen, shown below, will be unlocked when you complete all seven of this week’s challenges and will contain a major hint for completion of the sixth Hunting Party challenge. The Cube Monsters were added to the game as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween event in Fortnite Battle Royale and can be found most commonly around the corrupted areas of the map that the cube created in Season 5. Other leaks to come out of the v6.21 update include a number of new skins and cosmetic items, one of which seems to be a spooky version of the Cuddle Team Leader outfit!

  • Fortnite players livid as still-broken hurdle mechanic returns – Dexerto

Fortnite players livid as still-broken hurdle mechanic returns Epic GamesEpic Games recently re-enabled Fortnite’s hurdle mechanic, but its lingering glitches have left players frustrated. Due to an unspecified issue, the developer temporarily removed hurdling from Fortnite several weeks ago in mid-December. Many assumed its sidelining came as a result of issues wherein the mechanic would launch players into the air. In other instances, the feature would auto-activate and throw players over waist-high objects even if it wasn’t their intention. A recent patch has brought hurdling back to the game. However, not everyone is happy about this development, especially not users who’ve been subjected to the feature’s disruptive bugs. Fortnite players can hurdle again but it’s still broken While Epic has reinstated hurdling in the popular battle royale, players like RoyalMannequin remain unconvinced that it belongs in-game. The Reddit user shared a brief gameplay clip of their character looting an area of the map. All seems well and good until the player starts running toward a nearby treasure chest. Once they get within a few feet of their prize, the auto-hurdle mechanic activates and instantly launches the player high into the air. After soaring for several hundred feet, RoyalMannequin slowly begins to lose air. “I hate the hurdle mechanic,” the Redditor wrote as the thread’s caption. “Isn’t this the exact reason they disabled it?” someone asked in response to the above post. Others pointed out that they’ve encountered similar issues since the feature’s reinstatement. “Twice yesterday I was nowhere near an object and ended up hurdling over it off a cliff,” one person claimed. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that hurdling will soon require another fix. Interestingly, Fortnite’s hurdle isn’t the only recently removed mechanic to have returned this week. The temporarily disabled Shockwave Hammer has also rejoined the fun. This particular weapon went back to the vault because of a troublesome infinite bounce glitch that players could easily exploit.

  • Fortnite: How would a ‘No Weapons’ LTM work? – Dexerto

Fortnite: How would a ‘No Weapons’ LTM work? Epic GamesFortnite’s large arsenal of weapons makes the gameplay hectic, fun and diverse but a game mode that solely focuses on auxiliary armaments would create another kind of beast. Epic Games frequently introduces new takes on its own formula in the form of Limited Time Modes (LTM), and a scenario that takes away primary weapons and turrets from the game would be interesting. A Reddit post from user ‘An-FBI-Agent’ gave a quick rundown of how a gun-less LTM could work in the 100-player battle royale and it would instantly be one of the wildest additions to the game. Their concept would keep shotguns, assault rifles, and even pistols from spawning while increasing the spawn-rate of other offerings such as traps, Stink Bombs and others. The game is littered with ancillary weapons ranging from dynamite, Clingers, grenades, and Spiked Traps, but user ‘An-FBI-Agent’ specifically disallows the busted Mounted Turret even though it’s technically classified as a trap. A mode like this could increase the chances of seeing exciting new uses for distortion items like Launch Pads, Chiller Traps, Boogie Bombs, Shockwave Grenades and the like. Players who aren’t great at aiming could have a lot of fun in a mode that completely dispels one of their worst skill sets. Readers were quick to point out that skybases would ruin the idea. But without any guns and an increases spawn-rate to items like Port-a-Forts and Rift-to-Gos could make surprise assaults using only Shockwave Grenades a blast. The idea is not completely sound, but just with like the LTM’s before such as Close Encounters and High Explosives, players could find unique ways to come on top.

  • Fortnite: How to use new Presents to easily bait and trap enemy players – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to use new Presents to easily bait and trap enemy players The new Presents in Fortnite Battle Royale are being used by players as a clever way to trap and eliminated enemies in-game. Presents act very similarly to the Port-A-Fort in that they are an item you hold in your inventory that can be thrown to instantly spawn a large cube-shaped present which holds loot inside. However, players are also finding the new items to be an effective option during engagements with opponents, particularly in close quarter fights. In a video he posted online, Reddit user ‘TheFortScientist’ explains how Presents can be used against enemy players, a process which would also require the player to have traps in their inventory. First, the player must get close to an enemy and then throw the Present to spawn the cube in such a way that the two players are immediately inside the enclosure rather than on the outside. As soon as the Present spawns, and the two players are both inside the box, the attacking player must then immediately place the traps in his inventory onto the inner walls so that they all face and converge upon the middle of the enclosure. Of course, the presence of the enemy play will spring the traps, causing critical damage and eventually knocking down/eliminating the opponent. There are several key details to note about this process. First, the more traps that can be used the better the chances for the enemy to be struck by at least one, and it’s important that at least two traps are used adjacent to each other. Secondly, the walls of the Present come default with 450 points of health, which means that it would take at least four direct hits with a pickaxe to destroy a wall. This is important because it’s what separates the Present trap method from the regular box trap because the player-built walls of the box can be destroyed with just two swings of the pickaxe, allowing the player to potentially escape before being eliminated by the traps. Also, the sudden presence of the Present will distract the opponent for at least a split-second, which is more than enough time to bamboozle them with a quick placement of traps.

  • Fortnite: How to use the new Matrix-like emote to easily win gunfights – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to use the new Matrix-like emote to easily win gunfights Although emotes were clearly added to Fortnite Battle Royale as a way to inject some fun and and comedy into the game, there are some dance moves that can actually help players win gunfights. The most recent and blatant example of this is the Shaolin Sit-Up, an Uncommon rarity emote that was released in the Item Shop on January 2. Upon activating the emote, the player’s on-screen character falls backwards to the floor and then does a worm movement to straighten back up and hold the classic medication position until the player decides to move. Although the emote may seem harmless at first glance, there have been loads of clips online that show players using the initial phase of the movement to cleverly dodge bullets, especially sniper fire. However, that technique is generally not reliable nor viable to use in a close-up and intense gunfight, unless it’s used in a specific situation that most players find themselves during build-fights. During build-fights, what ends up almost always happening is one player decides to spam build a single wall to protect themselves from the opponent, who tries their best to knock the wall down and replace it with their own. Whoever has control of the wall always has the luxury of quickly editing in a window and shooting through at the enemy on the other side. That technique is not a novelty or a secret and most experienced players will always look out for it during fights. What most players do not expect is the enemy player to use the emote as soon as the window is edited in to dodge the bullets and then spring back up to shoot back at the confused player. Gotta have some style when keeping @NICKMERCS protected! pic.twitter.com/juivGcFeCb — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) January 8, 2019 As Team SoloMid streamer HighDistortion shows above, when you find yourself separate by the enemy by a wall that you don’t control, using this emote can be the perfect defense and counterattack all in one. As soon as you see the opponent pull out his building map, quickly activate the emote in anticipation of the window edit. The opponent is likely to shoot quickly after editing in the window, which is perfect because you’ll be out sight thanks to the emote. Once the shot comes in, it’s important to then cancel the emote’s effect to straighten back up and then immediately shoot back through the same window at the confused player who is wondering where you went. Not surprisingly, many are calling this the Matrix Emote as it resembles the iconic movements that the characters in The Matrix movie series do to dodge bullets. Many are also poking fun at the fact that this emote doesn’t exactly fall in line with Epic Games’ pledge that these items “are cosmetic only, and grand not competitive advantage.” While it’s highly unlikely that Epic actually meant for the emote to be used in this way, there is no doubting that it has a strong potential to help players win gunfights.

  • Fortnite: How to stop Taco Time in Greasy Grove – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to stop Taco Time in Greasy Grove Epic GamesOne Fortnite fan has found a way to get around the Taco Time dancing that occurs at the Greasy Grove rift zone – and it can hand players a huge advantage. After months of waiting, many Fortnite fans finally got what they wanted as Greasy Grove returned in the V10.30 update as a brand-new Rift Zone. However, with the popular location becoming a Rift Zone, there is a huge twist compared to what it once was. The Burger shop has long gone, replacing it with a Taco shop. That shop has given players Taco Time – where, every 40 seconds or so, everyone in Greasy Grove will break out into a dance and become unable to build or shoot their weapons. However, there is a way to get around it. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user ThatOneWooper pointed out that players can get around the Taco Time dancing by utilizing a launch pad and building themselves into a one-by-one box. Of course, it’ll take some luck to find a launch pad, but if someone does, they can jump on the placed item just before Taco Time begins and once they hit the roof of the box, it will cancel the normal dancing period. The Redditor expanded on their find by explaining that while you can’t run and gun as everyone else is stuck in Taco Time dancing, you can absolutely build and create deadly traps. “I’ve heard from someone that you cannot shoot other players while they are dancing, however, during this mode you can build and they cannot,” they said. “So, all you have to do is build a box around them and place a trap or something. They can’t build or break to get out.” Epic Games likely didn’t plan for this workaround the Taco Time to be in the game, but as they haven’t yet addressed the issue, it remains to be seen if they are aware of it. It probably won’t take too long for them to implement a fix, though, so anyone exploiting this launch pad method won’t get to enjoy it for much longer.

  • How to slide across a vehicle Fortnite – Dexerto

How to slide across a vehicle Fortnite Epic GamesFind out how to slide across a vehicle in Fortnite to complete one of the weekly challenges in Chapter 5 Season 3. Every week, Fortnite releases a set of challenges players can complete to earn XP. Most of the time, they’re pretty simple and straightforward to do, usually requiring you to deal damage with a certain weapon or capture the Loot Island, among others. However, there’s one particular new quest that can be confusing to complete, and that’s none other than the one that asks you to slide across a vehicle. Like other weekly quests, you get 15,000 XP when you complete this, so it’s definitely something you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Here’s how to do it. Fortnite: How to slide across a vehicle The easiest way to slide across a vehicle in Fortnite is first to visit an empty gas station as that’s where you’ll find a car. You can also run into a car randomly in the street, of course, but it’ll be much safer to complete this quest without having to worry about getting sniped out in the open. Now, once you’ve secured a car, you’ll want to give yourself some distance to it before running to it. Press Shift to run toward it. Just before you reach the car, hit the jump button and then press crouch. You can attempt to land anywhere on the car’s surface, like its trunk or roof, when you’re doing this quest. This will give you the sliding animation and mark the quest complete. And just like that, the 15,000 XP reward is all yours. While any car works for this quest, a sports car should give you an easier time since it has a lower roof. That said, SUVs can be an excellent choice as well, thanks to their broad design. Either way, this quest shouldn’t take too long to complete in Fortnite, assuming there are no other distractions or enemies around you.

  • Fortnite: How to prevent fall damage with Shield Bubble item – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to prevent fall damage with Shield Bubble item Epic GamesFortnite’s new Shield Bubble item was introduced in update 10.20, and while its main use is to protect you from enemy fire, it can also be used to prevent major fall damage. The Shield Bubble is viewed by most players as a direct counter to a missile barrage coming from a mech, but some are discovering there are more uses for it. Since the shield is able to protect players from all damage, it was only a matter of time before someone tested if it would protect from fall damage. Reddit user Genshadow15 showed how editing a floor and dropping down with the shield would allow you to freefall into the ground and take no damage. It’s a neat little trick that could save you in a sticky situation, but more likely you’ll want to do the “Waterfalling” method where you try to attach a build piece to an existing structure when falling down. That way, you don’t need to rely on a certain item being in your inventory. Read More: Tfue “needs” to stream other things – In endgame scenarios where players have to drop down quickly, it could work out quite nicely but it’s hard to picture many other situations this could factor into. With Shadow Bombs and Ballers being gone in Season 10, players are always on the look for more mobility options and perhaps this could end up catching on in a competitive scene. Shield Bubbles aren’t exactly mobility items but they do let you cover ground quickly if needed, so who knows, this could become a viable option if no alternatives arise as the season goes on. The Turbo Build changes added a delay in how quickly you can place items, making waterfalling a less than reliable option, but Epic quickly reverted those changes so you don’t have to worry about that. Read More: TSM sign two more Fortnite pros – We’re also not entirely sure if this is actually working as intended as the Shield Bubble was originally added to protect from gunfire and rockets.

  • Fortnite: How to ‘Search between a rotary phone, fork-knife, and hilltop house’ Week 5 Mission – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to ‘Search between a rotary phone, fork-knife, and hilltop house’ Week 5 Mission Epic GamesEpic Games have officially released their newest set of Fortnite Missions, with one tasking players to “Search between a rotary phone, a fork-knife, and a hilltop house’ as one of seven challenges in the fifth week of Season 10. Week 5 introduces the ‘Blockbuster’ Mission, with seven challenges to start with, and another seven unlocked once you have prestiged the challenge, while the limited-time ‘Catastrophic’ challenges also launched on August 29. One of the seven Blockbuster challenges tasks players with searching between a rotary phone, a fork-knife, and a hilltop house, and while that may sound extremely confusing, it should be pretty simple if you follow this guide. This challenge is relatively straightforward, as all three of these objects are locations on the map, and all you’re looking for is the spot directly between them. The rotary phone can be found just west of Fatal Fields, the fork-knife sits directly north, and the hill-top house sits north-west, meaning the spot you’re looking for lies directly in between, just west of the rock pit found at the legendary Fortnite location. The good news is that you don’t have to visit each of the three items before heading to the centerpoint, as simply knowing the location of the battle star is enough to complete this challenge. Once you make it there, the star should pop up and allow you to interact with it, completing the challenge. It may be worth making sure this is the third challenge you complete in the Mission, as the Week 5 hidden Battle Star which unlocks after three completed challenges can also be found in this general area.

  • Fortnite: How to Land a Bottle Flip near giant fish, llama, or pig – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to Land a Bottle Flip near giant fish, llama, or pig Epic GamesThe ninth week of Fortnite Season 10 is here, and that means there are 14 brand-new challenges to complete, including one that tasks you with landing a Bottle Flip inside a target near a giant fish, llama, or pig. At the start of Season 10, Epic Games scrapped the classic weekly challenges system, and replaced them with Missions, which feature fourteen tasks separated into basic and prestige versions. Those who complete all seven of the basic challenges will earn the right to take on the prestige editions, including one challenge that asks for a Bottle Flip to land on a target near a giant fish, pig, or llama. While the challenge may sound complicated, it is actually fairly simple, but you’ll need to have played Fortnite throughout Season 10 to rank up your Battle Pass if you hope to complete it. You’ll need to have reached Tier 37, to unlock the Bottle Flip toy, or if you have reached Tier 53 you can use the fancy version of the item, as both will count towards completing this challenge. With the Bottle Flip toy equipped, it’s time to hop in the Battle Bus and head towards one of the giant animals. The llama sits on a hill north of Junk Junction, the pig is east of Lucky Landing, and the giant fish is in the hot springs north of Lazy Lagoon. If you’re struggling to find them, you can use the map below which marks their locations. 600Once you choose which of the three you plan on completing the challenge at, look for a green circle when you land, as this is where the bottle needs to land in order to successfully finish the task. Remember, you need to have the Bottle Flip unlocked to do this challenge, but you only need to land the bottle at one location, so once you see confirmation from Epic Games in the top-left corner of your screen, you can move on and stop flipping bottles.

  • Fortnite: How to get Ultra Doom mythic & become Doom’s Chosen – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to get Ultra Doom mythic & become Doom’s Chosen Epic GamesDoom’s Chosen has shocked Fortnite players by unexpectedly being added to Fortnite and the mythic item is only available at one specific location on the Battle Royale map. Epic’s 31.10 update was the first Fortnite big update landing into the Marvel-themed Absolute Doom season. Despite Gwenpool’s Dual SMGs and the Shuri Claws mythics being introduced, the star of the show has been Doctor Doom’s powers. Doom’s Chosen can now be obtained in Chapter 5 Season 4 unranked Battle Royale lobbies, which grants four powerful abilities. However, it is more challenging to get it than you might expect. The mythic item is only available in matches where a new Loot Island POI named Isle of Doom spawns instead of the regular one. However, there is only between a 5-10% chance that the Isle of Doom floating island will spawn during each Battle Royale match. Therefore, it may take a while for them to appear, and even when they become available, they will be the most popular POI on the island and heavily contested by enemies. Regardless if you’re in luck, here’s how to get the Ultra Doom mythic and find the Isle of Doom in Fortnite. Where to find Doom’s Cauldron & get Ultra Doom mythic To transform into Doom’s Chosen in Fortnite, you must head to the floating Isle of Doom island which will appear randomly during a Battle Royale match and will be visible via an icon on your in-game map. Once you’ve arrived, you will find Doom’s Cauldron directly in the middle of the Isle of Doom. To get Doom’s Chosen you will then need to capture the island by standing in the area surrounding the cauldron until the progress bar is complete. Finally, just walk up to it and embrace the Power of Doom from the cauldron. After a short cut-scene, you will instantly be equipped with Ultra Doom armor and you will turn into what is called Doom’s Chosen. As soon as you pick up the mythic item all your weapons and items will be dropped onto the floor. But, the powers you gain from Doom will be far superior to anything else. How to use Doom’s Chosen mythic weapon Once you get your hands on Doom’s Chosen, you will receive 500 Health and 500 Shield, unlimited sprint, a Shield Siphon after every elimination, and four brand-new abilities to use. Here are all four of Doom’s Chosen abilities and how to use them: Arcane Barrage – Press your fire button to decimate your foes with a multishot. – Scorch Beam – Hold down your aim button to fire a long-range beam. – Mystical Gigabomb – Hold down your reload button to rise into the air and throw a large projectile. – Dive Kick – Hit your Jump button to leap into the sky and press it again while gliding to crash down on your enemies with the iconic Dive Kick. – Despite it taking a bit of practice to get used to all of Doom’s Chosen powers, there will be some familiarity though for OG players. This is due to the abilities sharing a distinct likeness to Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlets from the iconic Marvel LTM from the Infinity War collab. Fortnite’s 31.10 update has also switched up the Victory Royale sequence to give a Doctor Doom twist. If you win a Battle Royale match this season using the Doom’s Chosen mythic, a Victory Von Doom animation will be shown. The Marvel villain for this season has also received a reworked skin, Skin styles, and a range of cosmetics within the Absolute Doom Battle Pass as part of the patch. With the Fortnite update dropping, make sure you keep in the loop by checking out our complete Chapter 5 Season 4 guides. These include full lists for every NPC location, all the new, unvaulted and vaulted weapons, and where to find each Mythic weapon.

  • Fortnite: How to get higher FPS and reduce lag on PC, PS4 and Xbox One – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to get higher FPS and reduce lag on PC, PS4 and Xbox One Ever since Fortnite Season 8 launched, there seems to be an increase of complaints from players about poor ‘optimization’, from lag or frame rate issues – here’s how to get the best settings for performance in Fortnite. How to improve FPS in Fortnite on PC Crucial to having a smooth experience on any game, is the frame rate, or frames per second (FPS). This determines how often a new frame appears on screen, which will drastically impact how ‘smooth’ the gameplay looks. PC Fortnite players have an array of graphical options to choose from to ensure higher FPS. Although turning everything to the absolute minimum might seem like the obvious choice, some settings are also important for you ability to play the game well, so here’s the best settings for both high FPS, and still keeping the quality at an optimum level. You will notice that ‘View Distance’ is still on epic, while other settings are turned down. This is because View Distance will directly impact your ability to see opponents and objects at longer ranges. How to get higher FPS in Fortnite on PS4 and Xbox One For console, things are a bit simpler. In fact, it’s so simple, that there is really only one setting you want to pay attention to. In the ‘Game’ tab, ensure that the ’60 FPS’ option is set to ‘on’. This will force the game to prioritize hitting 60 frames per second at all times, ahead of any visual luxuries. How to reduce lag in Fortnite on PC The other major factor in ensuring good performance while playing Fortnite, is of course lag, or in other words, any latency you might experience from the game server. Here’s some simple tips to avoid internet lag on PC: Update latest network drivers. – Use ethernet (wired) connection, not Wi-Fi (wireless) connection. – Reboot your router – a quick off/on can give it a kick into action. – Close other bandwidth hogging apps and devices, like Chrome, Origin, Steam – Select the closest geographical server to you. – Check Fortnite’s server status. – Reinstall Fortnite – if none of the above work, you could always try completely reinstalling the game. – You might also experience lag because your PC’s CPU is being overloaded. Use task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) to close any unnecessary applications running in the background – be aware, you will need to keep the Epic Games Launcher running to play Fortnite. How to reduce lag in Fortnite on PS4 and Xbox One Many of the tips above will also apply to console players too, with exception of a couple: Use ethernet (wired) connection, not Wi-Fi (wireless) connection. – Reboot your router – a quick off/on can give it a kick into action. – Close other bandwidth hogging devices, i.e. watching a YouTube video or Twitch stream. – Select the closest geographical server to you. – Check Fortnite’s server status. – Reinstall Fortnite – if none of the above work, you could always try completely reinstalling the game. – Hopefully future updates from Epic Games will improve the optimization of the game for all players, but for now, if you’re experiencing issues, hopefully some of the above tips will help solve some of them.

  • Fortnite: How to fly 100 meters in the air in a vehicle – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to fly 100 meters in the air in a vehicle Epic GamesA newly added Fortnite challenge in the Summer Escape questline requires players to fly 100 meters in the air in a vehicle. Considering there are no aerial vehicles in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, completing the quest can be quite tricky – so we’ve got a guide here to help you do it. Fortnite quests are crucial to progressing through the game since they reward players with XP and progress toward their Battle Pass tiers in return for completing certain in-game tasks. Players have plenty of opportunities to earn free rewards and XP throughout the game, especially during events like the recent Summer Escape. An additional questline, Summer Escape Quests, offering free cosmetic rewards and XP has been added to the game this month as part of a new Fortnite event. This questline features some out-of-the-ordinary challenges that put players through their paces. Since there are no aerial vehicles on the island in Chapter 4 Season 3, completing a quest that requires you to travel 100 meters in the air presents a significant challenge. The current Fortnite vehicles, however, make short work of the quest’s requirements. Here’s how to complete this Fortnite quest easily. How to fly 100 meters in the air in a vehicle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 You need to be well-versed on the various vehicles found on the Fortnite island before you can begin the quest. Among the vehicles available this season are the OG Bear, Mudflap, Rogue Bike, Nitro Drifter, and Dirt Bike. However, the Rogue Bike’s boosting abilities will allow you to ride further in the air, therefore we recommend using it. To begin this quest, you should head to Mega City and acquire a Rogue Bike. Once you’ve done that, drive west of Mega City to the steep hill that’s close to the POI. As soon as you reach the peak, you’ll be able to see the Mega City POI in front of you. Simply accelerate your Rogue Bike off the hill and keep boosting the vehicle while looking straight. Repeat the process until you have traveled 100 meters in the air on your vehicle. Once you do so, your progress prompt will appear notifying you that your Fortnite quest is now completed. If you choose, you can also use ramps that have been strategically placed on high ground throughout the Fortnite island to launch any vehicle. The goal is to drive the vehicle as far as possible in the air, so you’ll want to build up some speed before launching it from a high spot. So there you have it – that’s all you need to know about how to fly 100 meters in the air in a vehicle in Fortnite! Here’s everything you need to know about finding it. The Hunting Party is an ongoing bonus challenge that runs throughout Season 6 and awards players that complete all of the weeks with a mystery skin, much like Season 4’s Blockbuster challenge and Season 5’s Road Trip challenge. In previous seasons, players were asked to find a secret Battle Star somewhere on the map each week, but Banners were introduced at the end of Season 5 and have alternated with the Battle Star throughout Season 6. Week 7 sees the Battle Star, which is the significantly more popular item return, so any player that finds it will be granted a free Battle Pass tier for their efforts. As always, the hint for where the item can be found is included in this week’s Hunting Party loading screen. The Week 7 loading screen, which was leaked after the November 6 v6.22 patch, can be seen below with the hint circled. during a major event called ‘Butterfly’ on November 4, but the hint is actually on the outskirts of the image. The Battle Star should be located on a small boat that has been left stranded on one of the chunks of ground around Leaky Lake. Once you’ve completed all seven of the standard challenges for Week 7, the Hunting Party challenge will be unlocked and the Battle Star should be available for collection. Simply go to the location marked on the map below and the Battle Star should be in the small row boat. Update: The star has been found in game and is now actually available at a different island. Once you’ve completed all seven of the standard challenges for Week 9, the Hunting Party challenge will be unlocked and the Battle Star should be available for collection. • Fortnite: How to find and capture Loot Island – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to find and capture Loot Island Epic GamesYou’ll need to find and capture Loot Island within five minutes of its arrival in Fortnite if you’d like to complete one of the latest Star Wars quests. Here’s how you can do it. Fortnite is collaborating with Star Wars again, this time bringing Chewbacca, LEGO Star Wars mini pass, and Cantina Band Jam Track, among others. And much like with any other big collabs, players can rack up a ton of XP by completing quests related to it. One of the latest Star Wars quests requires you to help capture Loot Island in Fortnite within five minutes of its arrival. Completing this quest will reward you 5,000 XP, but if you’re just starting out, you may wonder about the island’s location and how to capture it in the game. Here’s everything you need to know. How to capture Loot Island within five minutes of its arrival in Fortnite The Loot Island doesn’t spawn until later in the game, usually after a few storm circles. But you’ll eventually know where it’s going to appear because the island’s HUD will be visible on your screen. To complete the quest, you’ll need to head there as soon as it spawns. One easy way to get to the island is to use a Rift that teleports you into the sky. Though if you’re worried about alerting other players if you’re using certain gliders or contrails that are visible from afar, you can also just use the zipline that connects to the island found at the bottom of where the island spawns. Once you’ve made it to Loot Island, also known as Floating Island, head to the main plaza, where you’ll see a capture point with a flag on the ground. That is the exact spot where you need your character to stay for a certain period of time to claim the Loot Island’s capture point. You can see your capture’s progress by checking the flag or the small blue indicator on your screen. It’s worth noting that your enemies can hear you capturing the island during the process, so ideally, you’ll want to wait it out if things look chaotic nearby. A place like this can be risky at times, but if you’re lucky, you might just get some of the best weapons.

  • How to find Fortnite secret banner for Week 6, Season 8 Discovery Challenge – Battle Star replaced – Dexerto

How to find Fortnite secret banner for Week 6, Season 8 Discovery Challenge – Battle Star replaced If you are keeping up to date with the Discovery Challenges in Fortnite, then you will need to find the hidden banner for Week 6 of Season 8, which is available after completing the new weekly challenges. Where is the secret banner on the Week 6 loading screen? The developers have used a more cryptic hint for the Week 6 banner, and instead of pointing out the physical location banner in the loading screen, they have slyly added coordinates to the image. As you can see on the key in the loading screen, the top part has the banner image, while the base of the key has four coordinates listed: F2, F3, E2, E3. Where is the hidden banner for Week 6 of Fortnite Season 8? With the coordinates from the key, we can get a pretty good estimate as to where the banner will be, but it’s exact location isn’t given to us entirely. Presumably, it will be at the intersection of the four coordinates, which we have marked on the map below. Most likely, the banner will be placed near the large Moai statue on the hill, which is adjacent to two boulders, and there is typically a chest here too. How to get the Week 6 hidden banner in Fortnite Complete the Week 6 weekly challenges – Unlock the loading screen for the Discovery Challenges – Head to the coordinates shown in the loading screen (E2, E3, F2, F3) – Interact with the banner near the Moai statue at Lazy Lagoon – Remember, the banner itself will not appear until you have completed all the challenges for Week 6 of Fortnite Season 8, and subsequently unlocked the loading screen bearing the coordinates. The week 6 challenges are officially live in Fortnite now, so hop in, get them complete and then get busy finding this week’s hidden banner. Last updated on April 4.

  • Fortnite: How to explore the secret new Yeti cave in Season 7 – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to explore the secret new Yeti cave in Season 7 The launch of the brand new Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale has added numerous new locations to the map, including a secret cave in the snow biome. One of the lesser talked about new locations compared to others, the new hidden cave is located on the coastline between Frosty Flights and Happy Hamlet, two brand new points-of-interest on the southwestern corner of the map. The cave appears to be the home of a Yeti, which is a mythical ape-like mountain creature also known as Abominable Snowman in many cultures. Players can reach this cave by landing near Happy Hamlet and then walking in the direction of Frosty Flights, but closer to the coastline rather than taking a direct path. There are two entrances to the cave, which is completely underground. The first is a hole in the ground and the second is the main entrance leading in from the side. Neither has any special markings or indicators nearby, so players will have to stumble across them when exploring the area. The cave contains an ample amount of loot, which can come in handy for anyone who find themselves around the area, especially since it’s likely not to have been looted since not many people currently know about the location. There is also a plane stuck in debris in the tunnel of the higher entrance, which can be freed by destroying the rubble. This then offers players an easy way to quickly leave the area after looting the cave. The video below, published by YouTuber VALtheVAL, shows players how to find the entrances to the cave and also offers a tour of the interior.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Dance on top of a sundial, oversized cup of coffee and giant metal dog head’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Dance on top of a sundial, oversized cup of coffee and giant metal dog head’ challenge One of the free challenges for Week 9 of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale asks players to dance on a number of obscure objects in three stages. This guide will help you find find each location in record time. The Season 7, Week 9 Fortnite challenges are due to go live on January 31 at 14:00 GMT (09:00 EST, 06:00 PST) but a number of leaks in the days running up to the release have given us a good idea of what to expect. One of those leaked challenges states: ‘Stage 1: Dance on top of a sundial’ followed by ‘Stage 2: Dance on top of an oversized cup of coffee’ and ‘Stage 3: Dance on top of a giant metal dog head.’ While those clues might come across as obscure, they’re actually pretty simple if you’re one of the millions of people around the world that spend a few hours each week running around the Fortnite map. To begin, you’ll need to find the sundial and use your emote wheel to perform a dance once you’re on top of it. The sundial is actually located on top of the hill in the top right corner of the G9 coordinate on the map (on the edge of desert biome when snow isn’t covering the map). The entire top of the hill will count as the sundial. We’ve marked the exact location on the map below: Once you’ve completed the first stage, you’ll need to locate the ‘oversized cup of coffee’ and repeat the previous process. The coffee cup is can be found to the North of Dusty Divot in the car park for the diner. The exact location has been marked on the map for you. Remember you HAVE to complete the first stage before moving on to this one. As soon as you’ve completed the first two stages, you’ll unlock the third and final part of the challenge: Dance on top of a giant metal dog head. The dog’s head is, of course, referring to the giant crane at Junk Junction. As this stage specifies dancing on the head of the dog, make sure you perform your dance on that specific point. Here’s where you need to go: As always, make sure you complete each match after playing through one of the stages. If you leave the game without being killed or picking up the win, your challenge progression could be lost. For more information on the rest of this week’s tasks, visit our Week 9, Season 7 Fortnite challenges and how to complete them article. Once you complete all of the Season 7, Week 9 challenges, you’ll unlock the Week 9 Snowfall challenge and loading screen. This week, you’ll be finding a hidden Battle Star using the clue from the Snowfall loading screen.

  • Fortnite: How to create a flying Shield Bubble – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to create a flying Shield Bubble Epic GamesUsing items to your advantage is imperative if you’re hoping to find Victory Royales in Fortnite, and a Reddit user has come up with an ingenious way to create a flying Shield Bubble using Shockwave Grenades. The Shield Bubble Item was first introduced to the popular battle royale title in the v10.20 Update, designed to create a protective shield around players to counter the B.R.U.T.E mechs which were causing havoc across the island. While the item is designed to remain stationary, Fortnite players have found ways to make it move, and one clever Reddit user has discovered how to make a flying version of the item. Posted on the /r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit by /u/Positive_Unit, the trick is surprisingly straight forward, but extremely effective. First, players need to build themselves into a 1×1 box and then throw a Shield Bubble at the top of the wall directly opposite from the direction they want to fly. Then, throw a Shockwave Grenade at the bottom of the same structure. The Shockwave will destroy the wall, detaching the Shield Bubble from it, and sending both you and the item flying through the sky, with the protective shield remaining around you as you soar through the air. Of course, to pull this clever plan off, you’ll need to have found both a Shockwave Grenade and Shield Bubble in the same match, whether from loot in Chests or Supply Drops, or from opponents you’ve eliminated in the match. The flying aspect of this move is perfect for late-game rotations, especially during the final circles, where remaining protected while surrounded by enemies can be the difference between victory or defeat. Remember, players can still run through your protective bubble when you land on the ground, so make sure you’re aware of where you will potentially hit the ground to make sure you’re not landing right on top of an opponent.

  • Fortnite: How to create a moving Shield Bubble – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to create a moving Shield Bubble Epic GamesA Fortnite streamer has come up with an ingenious way to turn the new Shield Bubble item into a moving dome of protection – and it’s much easier than you might think. The Shield Bubble was introduced to Fortnite Battle Royale in the v10.20 patch alongside the Pandora Rift Zone map changes and some general housekeeping in the way of tweaks, fixes for bugs and other issues. It may have been marketed as the perfect counter-play for the BRUTE Mech’s barrage of rockets, but it has quickly been found to have other uses too. It didn’t take long for players to find out how to use it to avoid fall damage, but it seems as if it can now also used for making rotations between circles. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user Nicorazi showcased a highlight from streamer ‘Spectro’, who was competing in a Trios games when he deployed the new tactic. The streamer had one teammate in a bush and quickly threw the shield bubble at them. As the bubble’s emitter spawned on the bush, the shield bubble became attached to that player – allowing it to become a mobile dome instead of a static one. The trio used it to their advantage, running between circles while encased in the protection as enemy players tried their best to rain down bullets on them from other locations. Of course, to pull it off for yourself, you will need a bush and a shield bubble item, so you have to hope that the Fortnite RNG gods are on your own side when it comes to looting. As it has been shown, it’s clearly a brilliant strategy to pull off and will help you rotate with some protection – which could give you a huge advantage towards the end of the game. However, though, this isn’t the perfect tactic as enemy players can still penetrate the bubble shield by running through it and there is only a 30-second time limit on its protection, so you will have to be pretty aware of your surroundings.

  • Fortnite: How to counter the Infinity Blade [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to counter the Infinity Blade [UPDATED] UPDATE – December 14, 2018 (1:15pm EST) After facing heavy backlash from the community, Epic Games announced on December 14 that it would be putting the Infinity Blade in the Vault and reevaluating their stance on Mythic weapons moving forward. The addition of the Infinity Blade in Fortnite Season 7 has caused plenty of frustration for players and professionals alike, but there are ways to counter it. Epic Games have already made changes to the controversial Infinity Blade but it is still incredibly powerful to whoever wields it. Some players may see the item as a guaranteed victory. However, we’ve got some tips on how you can counter the weapon and get ever closer to that precious Victory Royale. Balloons Finding a bag of Balloons is probably going to be your best bet. With each balloon you use, you can get ever higher in the sky – reaching heights that can’t be reached with the sword. From these heights, you can control your distance and shoot down whoever wields the Blade. Read More: How to find the secret Fortnite Banner for the Week 2, Season 7 Snowfall challenge – Battle Star replaced – It can be a risky tactic, however, as anyone else in the match looking to score an easy kill will be able to see you quite clearly thanks to the colorful balloons. Also, a lack of speed and shooting control towards the blade will give the player who wields a greater chance at manoeuvring away or regenerating health and armour. X-4 Stormwing Similarly to the Balloons, you can control your distance from the sword with the X-4 Stormwing whilst dealing damage. The attack plane’s mounted turret also gives you a chance whilst in the sky to rain down bullets. The ability to switch, whilst potentially tricky, allows a player to use whatever weapons they have in their arsenal from the skies. You just need to make sure you’re back in the pilots seat before you plummet to a possible death. Be a pro! While it’s easier said than done, being able to play like a pro will also get around the Infinity Blade. This means having movement skills that are on point and being able to build to a level that will give you time to fire off some shots. The sword can be outplayed, just take a look at SypherPK. The Luminosity Gaming professional bobs and weaves around the player, submerging them with constant builds and traps. Boogie Bombs The Infinity Blade can also be countered by Boogie Bombs. Yes, Boogie Bombs. Throwing a few at the wielder of the sword will see them lose all control and being to bust a move, giving you the chance to slay them. Whilst the timing won’t be incredibly long, a good sequence of throws and subsequent damage dealing should be able to see you through. Teamwork! As the saying goes, Teamwork makes the dream work and teamwork is one of the more risky ways to counter the Blade. Being able to surround the blade and strike with multiple weapons will do plenty of damage. However, having multiple enemies pretty close by allows the holder of the sword to do damage and regen health pretty quickly. It may also be a bit tricky to organize a solo’s lobby against the Blade. Have you found any better ways to counter the Infinity Blade? Tweet us @Dexerto and tell us more.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit three different clocks’ Week 8 challenge, Season 9 – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit three different clocks’ Week 8 challenge, Season 9 Epic GamesSeason 9, Week 8 challenges go live on June 27, including this specific challenge that will have you hunting for the large timepieces across the island. Unfortunately, these clocks are not featured on Fortnite’s minimap, so you’ll have to do some searching if you hope to find them. But, if you would rather complete the challenge quickly and easily, you can use this handy guide which will show you exactly where you need to go. Where are the clocks on the Fortnite map? Players are looking for three clocks on the island, but the good news is that they don’t have to be visited in a single match, or in any specific order. This challenge may be tricky as the clocks are not something you would usually be keeping an eye out for, with one of the timepieces hidden away in a secret location that many would not expect. The easiest clock to find is in Neo Tilted, which features a digital clock that sits high above the skyline of the futuristic city. The other two clocks are more traditional versions, with Happy Hamlet, the quaint town in the southern region of the island home to its own clock tower, which sits directly in the middle of the location. There’s also a sneaky clock hidden away at Sunny Steps which many players probably won’t even think about. Found on a platform in the middle of the area, a sundial sits telling the time using the position of the sun. Walking up to this counts as one of your threeclocks, so if you happen to be nearby, head over and make use of it. Finally, players will need to head to a rather surprising location for the final clock, that being Junk Junction. Littered among the rubble and metal is the clock tower that formerly sat in Tilted Towers, and lying at the bottom of the now destroyed building is the clockface which sat on top of it. If you’re still struggling to figure out exactly where you need to go, you can use this map which has the three locations with the clocks in them marked for you. 700Once players have completed this challenge, they will be rewarded with five Battle Stars, with any player who completes four of the seven weekly challenges earning an 8,000XP bonus for their troubles.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow’ challenge A new challenge now available in Fortnite for the start of Season 8 will have you exploring the different zones of the map to find three different hidden faces. To complete the ‘visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow’ challenge, you will need to visit three faces in total – one in the desert biome, one in the snow biome and another in the newly-released jungle area to the North of the map. These new faces are hard to miss as they stick out like a sore thumb in their respective locations. To make life even easier, we’ve highlighted all three locations on a handy map below. However, if you need specific instructions on how to find the areas – we’ve got those too. To find the hidden face in the desert, you have to go to the very south of the desert – in H-10. The giant face is on the cliff-side towering above a small town below, with vehicles pointing out of the mountain like a crown. To easily tick this face off your list, land on top of the mountain. You can also land below the mountain and look up at the face or even on the hillside across from the face – just make sure to look at the face. In order to find the giant face in the snow, you’ll have to land towards the south-east of Happy Hamlet – in E-9. The face is located on a small mountain and similarly to its desert counterpart, can be landed on to tick it off your list. However, you can also land directly in front of the face and look at it to also complete the challenge. The final one, the face in the jungle, is located to the east of the brand new Sunny Steps location – right on the border of the I and J-3 quadrants. Again, the face is located on the side of a mountain but can be a little harder to find that the first two as the face blends in well with the rockface. Once again, just look at the face to tick it off your list and complete the challenge. Fortnite Season 8 is now live after the expected downtime for the update earlier in the day. On top of the standard challenges, players will be able to find a secret Battle Star as part of the new ‘Discovery’ bonus challenges.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a solar array in the snow, desert, and the jungle’ Week 9 challenge, Season 9 – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a solar array in the snow, desert, and the jungle’ Week 9 challenge, Season 9 Epic GamesThe Week 9, Season 9 Season 9, Week 9 challenges officially go live on July 4, with this specific challenge proving to be one of the most difficult that Epic Games have added. With players tasked to visit these sun-drinking contraptions, the bad news is that they are not marked on the minimap, so finding them may be difficult. But, if you’re not interested in running around the island in the hopes of coming across one, we have performed the detective work for you, and created this handy guide which will take you directly to where you need to go. Where are the solar arrays on the Fortnite map? Players have to visit three solar arrays that have been placed on the battle royale title’s island, but the good news is that you don’t have to visit all three in one match, so you can take your time and visit them as you please. You may not have noticed the addition of the solar arrays, but with the size of the machines, it’s hard to miss them now that you’re actively searching for them. Starting in the snow biome, the first solar array can be found behind the two hangers at Frosty Flights, with players simply required to walk over to it to complete that portion of the challenge. Next, head towards Pleasant Park in the desert biome, where you’ll find the second solar array just outside the city. Head directly east through the skyscrapers and buildings, and make your way towards the edge of the map, and you should easily spot the machinery sitting on top of a hill. Finally, travel north towards Pressure Plant to find the third array. This one is situated once again towards the edge of the Fortnite map, close to the area with the giant fish made out of wood. If you’re still struggling to figure out exactly where you need to go, you can use this map which has all three solar array locations marked on it for you. 650Completing this challenge will reward players with five Battle Stars which can be used to rank up your Battle Pass, with anyone who completes any four of the seven challenges receiving a 9,000 XP bonus.

To complete the challenge, you will need to visit seven waterfalls in total, and there are only eight on the map, so it’s not like you are spoiled for choice. Thankfully, the waterfalls are fairly easy to spot on the map, but that won’t make this challenge any less of a chore – as they are very spread out. To make your life a bit easier, we’ve highlighted all eight waterfall locations on the map below. More: Fortnite v7.40 Content Update: Driftboard, Infantry Rifle and new LTM’s – Patch Notes for February 19 – If you want to get this challenge out of the way as fast as possible, it might be an idea to land and clear one side of the map (i.e. Wailing Woods and Paradise Palms), and then in the next match head for the waterfalls near Loot Lake and Polar Peak. 800This wasn’t the only new task added to the Overtime Challenges today, but thankfull the others are much more straightforward: Deal 500 damage to opponents with Shotguns or SMG’s – Search 7 chests or ammo boxes at The Block – Place top 10 in Squads with a friend 3 times – For a full list of all Overtime Challenges so far and how to complete them, check out our full guide here. • Fortnite: How to complete the Week 8 Hunting Party challenge – Secret Banner replaces Battle Star – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the Week 8 Hunting Party challenge – Secret Banner replaces Battle Star The secret Banner is back for Week 8 of the Hunting Party in Fortnite Battle Royale, meaning there’s a free Banner tier waiting to be added to your inventory! Here’s everything you need to know about finding it. The Hunting Party is an ongoing bonus challenge that began at the start of Season 6 and awards players that complete all of the weeks with a mystery skin when they complete a total of 7 weeks. That mystery skin was confirmed to be the A.I.M outfit during Week 7 and there’s a good chance that some of you will already have unlocked it, but the Week 8 challenge is still worth completing. As has been the case on alternating weeks throughout Season 6, the Battle Star has been switched out for a Banner for Week 8, so there’s no free Battle Pass tier this week but you will still get to add something new to your inventory. As always, the hint for where the item can be found is included in this week’s Hunting Party loading screen. The Week 8 loading screen, which was leaked after the November 14 v6.30 patch, can be seen below with the hint circled. This means that the Banner should be located on the roof in Flush Factory where the skin originally landed (right next to his parachute). Once you’ve completed all seven of the standard challenges for Week 8, the Hunting Party challenge will be unlocked and the Banner should be available for collection. Simply go to the location marked on the map below and the Banner should be located on the tallest roof. All you need to do is collect it! We will update this post with confirmation once the challenges go live…

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Use Keep It Mello at trucker’s oasis, ice cream parlor, and a frozen lake’ Showtime Challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Use Keep It Mello at trucker’s oasis, ice cream parlor, and a frozen lake’ Showtime Challenge The second and third Showtime challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale have gone live and players can now complete them to unlock additional rewards. The second of the challenge set is very straightforward and simple as all players need to do to complete it is visit the Showtime venue in Pleasant Park. This venue consists of a giant stage built on top of the football field, which is where popular EDM DJ Marshmello will be performing his live in-game concert. Completing this challenge is important because it rewards players with the ‘Keep It Mello’ emote that is not only a cool one to have but is also necessary for completing the third and final challenge. This is what the event stage looks like in Pleasant Park, so just standing on top of it like this should be enough to do the trick. For those interested, here’s a video of how the emote look in-game, and it will likely be used by many in the crowd at Marshmello’s performance on February 2. This then brings us to the third challenge, which requires players to “use Keep It Mello at a trucker’s oasis, ice cream parlor, and a frozen lake,” all of which are distinct locations on the Fortnite map. For this, players simply have to visit the Truck ‘N’ Oasis truck stop and SOFDEEZ ice cream parlor, both in the bottom left corner of the map, as well as the frozen lake just north of Polar Peak in the southwestern snow biome. Players must do the Keep It Mello emote at each of these three locations in order to complete the challenge and earn their reward. Showtime Challenges hub.

  • Fortnite: How to complete the Season 7 Week 4 “Search the Letters” Challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the Season 7 Week 4 “Search the Letters” Challenge Epic Games have officially released the Week 4 challenges for Season 7 of their popular battle royale game Fortnite. While there was no major content update for Fortnite this week due to the holidays, Epic Games have continued to roll out challenges as players attempt to earn Battle Stars. Battle Stars are used to level up players’ Battle Passes, allowing them to unlock new items such as skins, back blings or harvesting tools. This week’s Fortnite challenges include dealing pickaxe damage, eliminating opponents at all the Expedition Outposts and using X-4 Stormwings in three different matches. However, one of the challenges will require players to go hunting around the map, as they need to find different letters that have been hidden around the map. The first letter players need to be on the lookout for is the letter O, which can be found at the building just west of Pleasant Park. Players don’t need to enter the building, as the star is hidden beside a dumpster on the outside. Next up, players will have to head to Wailing Woods to find the letter S, which is hidden in the bunker underneath the forest. The letter is on the second floor of the A.I.M. base, hidden in an office room filled with consoles. The third letter you’re looking for is M, and this one can be found at Dusty Divot. Located inside the research facility, players need to head to the south-east corner of the facility. Found inside one of the smaller building in this area will be the letter you’re looking for. The final letter, which is N, is found at what used to be Greasy Grove. Located just north of Polar Peake, the star is found inside the building in the middle of the frozen ice lake that now covers the location, with players needing to break through the roof to find it. Finally, players just need to head to Retail Row and visit the building with the NOMS sign in front of it to complete the challenge.

  • Fortnite: How to complete the ‘Search between a Giant Rock Man, a Crowned Tomato and an Encircled Tree’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the ‘Search between a Giant Rock Man, a Crowned Tomato and an Encircled Tree’ challenge For the first time in a long time, one of the Fortnite challenges for Week 5 of Season 7 requires players to find a Battle Star that has been hidden on the map. The clue for his week is to “Search between a Giant Rock Man, a Crowned Tomato and an Encircled Tree.” This cryptic clue is actually more specific than you might think at first glance. To work out where the Battle Star can be found, you simply need to work out the intersection between the three locations that have been described. You may have already worked out one, or all, of the locations described. Perhaps the most recognizable point of interest is the ‘Crowned Tomato’ at Tomato Temple. Once you begin to inspect the area around it, you’ll also see the other spots that are discussed. The exact location for the star should be on the outskirts of Tomato Temple, on the line between G4 and H4 (look for a dry/dead patch of grass). If you’re still struggling, we’ve marked the spot on the map below. We’ll update this post with more information when the challenges go live on January 3. Once you arrive, the Battle Star should appear. Simply collect it in order to complete the challenge but don’t leave the game until you’ve been eliminated or won the match. Going back to the pre-game lobby too early could result in the challenge progression not being saved. Once you complete all of the Season 7, Week 5 challenges, you’ll unlock the Week 5 Snowfall challenge and loading screen. This week, you’ll be finding a Battle Star that grants you a free Battle Pass tier when collected. If you’re still struggling, you can see a video tutorial from ‘HarryNinetyFour’ on YouTube below.

Fortnite: How to complete the ‘Search between three ski lodges’ challenge – Location and guide For the first time in a long time, one of the Fortnite challenges for Week 3 of Season 7 requires players to find a Battle Star that has been hidden on the map using a cryptic clue. The clue this time around is to “Search between three ski lodges,” which is actually more specific than you might think at first glance. To work out where the Battle Star can be found, you simply need to work out the intersection between the three locations in the description. As you can probably imagine from the ‘ski lodges’ part of the clue, the area that you will be searching in is part of the snow area, or iceberg biome, that was added at the start of Season 7. The exact location is in the middle of the ground between Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet and Frosty Flights, in the C9 section of the map. If you’re still struggling, we’ve marked the spot on the map below. Once you arrive, the Battle Star will appear. Simply collect it in order to complete the challenge but don’t leave the game until you’ve been eliminated or picked up the Victory Royale. Returning to the lobby too early could result in the challenge progression not being correctly applied. Day 10 sees players hopping behind the wheel, as players need to perform a trick with a specific vehicle at 10 different named locations around the map. Players will need to get their hands on a Quadcrasher from one of the many areas they spawn around the map. If you’re not sure where you can find one, we’ve created a useful map that shows some of the areas they usually spawn. Once you have found a Quadcrasher, you need to drive to a named location and perform a trick. The easiest way to do this is to quickly build a ramp, then drive your Quadcrasher up the ramp, use your boost to fly into the air and start spinning and flipping in the air. Once players have performed a trick, they will see a number appear on the bottom left corner of the screen, indicating that you have performed a trick and earned trick points. Then, just land the Quadcrasher on the ground without flipping over or crashing, and you’ll earn the Day 10 reward which is a X-4 Stormwing spray.

  • Fortnite: How to complete the Day 8 challenge and Reward – 14 Days of Fortnite [UPDATE] – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the Day 8 challenge and Reward – 14 Days of Fortnite [UPDATE] UPDATE – December 26, 2018 (1pm EST) Hours after the Day 8 challenge went live, Epic Games announced that the ‘Take the Elf’ emote had been delayed until 2019 for most players. With Christmas over, it’s time to refocus on the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges, and day 8 is already upon us – tasking you to ‘damage opponents with different weapons.’ There’s been some difficult tasks so far in 14 Days of Fortnite, such as flying planes through golden rings, or collecting goose eggs from nests hidden around the waterside on the map. If you still need to complete those challenges, or any others from the first half of 14 Days of Fortnite, be sure to check out our full challenge guide here. Thankfully, the Day 8 challenge is a lot easier – in fact, it may just be the easiest challenge so far in the 14 Days of Fortnite event. All you need to do is damage opponents with eight different weapons – that’s it, just one hit of damage will give you progress. It means that you can probably complete this challenge in only a single match, as long as you remember to cycle out different weapons. Also, weapon ‘rarity’ doesn’t count as a completely separate weapon, only weapon types (i.e. AR/SMG/Sniper etc.) You may want to land somewhere quiet if you are hoping to complete the challenge in one match – loot up, and remember to switch your weapons in gunfights. Once you do so, you will be rewarded with a free emote – ‘Take the Elf’ – a holiday themed version of the classic ‘Take the L’, which you can see below. If you are busy of the holiday period and can’t finish all the challenges in time, don’t panic, as they will still be available after the 14 Days of Fortnite event is over, for a limited time. More: Fortnite player creates amazing Cliffside Cabins location in Creative mode that would be perfect for The Block – There are also new LTM’s going live each day for 14 Days of Fortnite, plus Save the World players can enjoy a free Llama each day.

  • Fortnite: How to complete the ‘Get a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the ‘Get a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters’ challenge One of our favorite challenges from Season 5 of Fortnite Battle Royale, which asked players to ‘Shoot a Clay Pigeon at different locations’, has returned for Week 8 of Season 6 with slightly different wording. Various clay pigeon, or skeet shooting, locations were added to the map after the release of the V5.10 patch back in July 24 and they were soon included in a challenge. Now, they’re being used again for an identical challenge. This time around, players are required to ‘Get a score of 3 on different Clay Pigeon Shooters’, so it should be slightly more difficult. You’ll need to visit a total of three clay pigeon shooters in order to complete the challenge. If you’re not already aware of where the clay pigeon phooters can be found, we’ve put together a simple map that should help you out. Simply visit any three of the locations marked and get a score of three at each one. This challenge is more about timing than precision, so try to focus on a specific area in the pigeon’s trajectory and time each shot. This particular challenge is worth a total of five Battle Pass stars. Completing challenges is the quickest way of levelling up through the various Battle Pass tiers and earning the plethora of cosmetic items associated with those tiers. Once you’ve completed all seven of this week’s challenges, a bonus ‘Hunting Party’ challenge will be unlocked, allowing you to find a hidden Banner in a secret location and earn a free level up. If you’ve got to the point where you’re ready to complete that particular challenge, you can check out our in-depth guide here. Alternatively, for more information on the rest of this week’s challenges, visit our Week 8 challenge hub.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Search waterside goose nests’ challenge – 14 Days of Fortnite – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Search waterside goose nests’ challenge – 14 Days of Fortnite The sixth challenge for the 14 Days of Fortnite event went live on Christmas Eve, and will have players searching near the waterside for peculiar goose nests. Taking inspiration from the classic Christmas carol, ‘Twelve days of Christmas’, on day six the lyric goes ‘6 geese a-laying’, so goose nests are appropriate. If you haven’t completed any of the challenges for previous days – such as the five gold rings challenge for day 5 – you can find a full list and guide of all 14 Days of Fortnite challenges here. The goose nests are, as the name suggests, scattered around the map near water, and although you only need to find six, there are plenty to choose from. Simply approach the nests and interact with them to collect them. You can get as many as you like in a single match, so this challenge might be achievable in one game, if you’re lucky. Here’s a map with the goose nests marked, courtesy of gna.fortnite, so you can cut out any time searching around aimlessly. As always, make sure to complete any match that you are in, either by being eliminated or winning the game, otherwise your challenge progress may not track. Once you’ve collected six, you will unlock the Day 6 reward, which is the holiday themed ‘Crackshot special’ loading screen. It’s not the most exciting reward so far, but it’s a reward nonetheless. In addition to the daily challenges there are also fresh LTM’s being added each day to battle royale, plus free Llama’s for Save the World players.

  • Fortnite: How to complete the “Dance on top of a Water Tower, Ranger Tower, & Air Traffic Control Tower” challenge | Week 5 of Season 7 challenges – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete the “Dance on top of a Water Tower, Ranger Tower, & Air Traffic Control Tower” challenge | Week 5 of Season 7 challenges The fifth set of weekly challenge of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale went live on January 3 and it includes a challenge that involves dancing on top of certain objects. The challenge comes in three parts, as players will have to visit three specific locations on the Fortnite map and dance on top of a Water Tower, Ranger Tower, and Air Traffic Control Tower. Of course the players don’t have to actually do a full dance when they get to each location, just using a simple emote will be enough to do the trick. While doing the actions needed to complete the challenge are simple enough, finding the locations may be more difficult, and so we have included pinpoint locations where each of the three towers can be found. Water Tower (Stage 1) The Water Tower can be found in the southeast corner of Retail Row, and it’s recommended that players try to land on top of it right away and complete the challenge rather than trying to build up to it. Players can also use other mobility options such as the X-4 Stormwing, Balloons, or Launch Pads to get on top. For details, tips, and maps on completing each of the challenges from Week 5 of Season 7, visit our full challenge guide for this week HERE.

  • Fortnite: How to complete Search for Buried Treasure challenge, Week 4, Season 8 – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete Search for Buried Treasure challenge, Week 4, Season 8 Graphics from Epic GamesFortnite players looking to complete the Week 4, Season 8 challenges are going to have to search for some buried treasure across the battle royale map. Here’s how you can do it. The fourth set of tasks, which were revealed on March 21, is a continuation of the pirate theme that has made its mark on the Fortnite map since the season began on February 28. Players will need to find maps, locate and dig up two treasure chests for the Week 4 challenges, so we thought we should put together a quick and easy guide to help you complete this part as quick as possible. Find a Buried Treasure item There are tons of Buried Treasure items found across the Fortnite Battle Royale map and, for those who don’t know already, once you’ve got one in-hand, it will lead you to the location of your first treasure. Of course, with this week’s challenges you’re going to have to do this twice. These can be found all over the map, but it could be a good idea to head over the pirate themed areas first as a starting point – such as the Pirate Camp outposts. Locate the Buried Treasure Once you’ve found a Buried Treasure map, it’s just a case of making your way over to the location that it directs you to in order to collect your loot. The good thing about this challenge, in particular, is that the loot you will find inside the treasure chest is guaranteed to include four of Legendary rarity, which should set you up for a promising game ahead. Anyway, the map will highlight the location you need to visit with a gold beam of light in the distance when you activate the map – which can be done by clicking the right trigger on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platform, or whichever key you’ve assigned to it for PC players. Be careful not to run into danger on your travels to the chest, though. You could be eliminated in the process. Dig up the Buried Treasure If you have found the right spot and have no idea how to dig up the treasure, it’s really quite easy. Simply select the pickaxe tool in your inventory and start hitting the giant ‘X’ on the ground. Once this has been done twice, you can move on to completing the other Fortnite Week 4, Season 8 challenges, which is the first time the new Baller vehicle has been included. Best of luck!

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery’ challenge locations for Week 10 Week 10 of Season 7 in Fortnite is finally upon us, and the new set of weekly challenges include a tricky staged task – Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery – with three different locations attached. The staged challenges add an extra layer of complexity to the standard ‘go here, do this’ tasks which we see every week, and often make it more difficult to get the challenge done in a single match. For the last set of tradition weekly challenges in Season 7, there is tricker task than usual, that will require some traversing across the battle royale map to complete. We have seen ‘shooting gallery’ challenges before, but this one not only sets a score target, but also three different galleries to tackle – the first being Wailing Woods. More: How to find secret Fortnite Banner for Week 10 Season 7 Snowfall challenge – Battle Star replaced – Stage 1: Get a score of 5 or more at the shooting gallery east of Wailing Woods For the first stage, you’ll need to head to this location on the map, on the east side of Wailing Woods. • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Get 15 bounces in a single throw with the Bouncy Ball toy’ challenge for Week 5 – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Get 15 bounces in a single throw with the Bouncy Ball toy’ challenge for Week 5 If you’re working through the Fortnite challenges for Week 5 of Season 8, you may have stumbled upon the bouncy ball challenge and been stumped – so here’s what you need to do. Most of the other challenges for Week 5 are pretty straightforward, and once you know what you’re doing, so is the bouncy ball task. However, unlike other challenges, there is somewhat of a barrier to entry on this one, as you will need to be at least level 26 on the Season 8 battle pass in order to unlock the bouncy ball. Once you’ve unlocked the bouncy ball, you will need to equip it, and then work out how to bounce it 15 times consecutively. Thankfully, the ball is very bouncy, but that doesn’t mean you can just toss it aimlessly and hope that it somehow manages 15 bounces. There are two techniques which should work to reach 15 bounces. The first, which is almost guaranteed to work, is to build up high into the sky, place a flat floor at the top, and then bounce the ball off the top. How to get 15 bounces with bouncy ball Build a high ramp (approx 10 levels) – Place a flat floor at the top – Bounce the bouncy ball from the very top floor – Leave the ball and allow it to bounce – Shortly after, the number of bounces will appear in the killfeed – This will ensure the ball picks up plenty of momentum, and should comfortably beat the 15 bounces target. Alternatively, a slightly safer way to do it, is to put yourself in an enclosed space. Any room in side a building will hopefully do the trick, and by bouncing the ball inside a tight area, it should be able to hit 15 after a few attempts. More: Fortnite Season 8, Week 5 challenges and how to complete them – Pirate Camps, Race Track and more – Once you bounced the ball, you can leave it to take care of itself while you carry on and work on some of the other Week 5 challenges.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Fly through golden rings in an X-4 Stormwing’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Fly through golden rings in an X-4 Stormwing’ challenge The fifth challenge of the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges is a bit tougher than previous ones, introducing a challenge we’ve never seen before – Fly through golden rings in an X-4 Stormwing, five in total. This challenge was released on December 23, and continues the trend of each new task requiring you to do one more of something – ‘Five gold rings’ coming from the classic Christmas carol. These gold rings can be a bit tricky to find on the map if you haven’t got a map – but thankfully we have just that very thing for you. You will need to find a plane first of course, as you will only get progress towards completing the challenge if you go through the ring while in a plane. Also make sure to complete any match you play fully, either by being eliminated or winning, as if you leave the game early your challenge progress may not track. Once you have flown through five of these gold rings in the plane, you will unlock the day 5 reward, which is a nifty backpack – the ‘Combat Wreath’. It’s been a busy day for Fortnite on Sunday, December 23, with the new content update also going live as well as the day 5 challenge. There are also not one, but two LTM’s added for Day 5 – Sniper Shootout and fan favorite Disco Domination. For details on all the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges and how to complete them, see our full challenge hub here. You can also view all the rewards for completing the challenges here.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Destroy seven grills with the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool’ 14 Days of Summer challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Destroy seven grills with the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool’ 14 Days of Summer challenge Epic GamesThe final challenge of Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event is here, with Epic Games tasking players to destroy seven BBQ grills using the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool. Developers Epic Games introduced the 14 Days of Summer event to give fans of the popular battle royale title plenty to do while they took a summer break, with a brand-new challenge releasing every day alongside some sweet rewards. Epic Games have held what could be the trickiest challenge to the end, as to complete this task you need to have finished one of the other 14 Days of Summer challenges before you can even attempt this one. This challenge tasks players with destroying grills while using the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool, but how do you get your hands on it, and where are the grills that you need to destroy? Here’s everything you need to know. How to get the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool Before you even attempt this challenge, you need to complete the tenth 14 Days of Summer challenge, which tasked players with setting off three fireworks from the river bank. These fireworks are dotted along the river, all the way from Lazy Lagoon to Fatal Fields, and when a player sets a firework off, it disappears and is unavailable for the rest of the match. If you’re struggling to finish it, you can use our challenge guide to find the exact locations of the fireworks, and recieve your Low n’ Slow harvesting tool. Where to find grills in Fortnite Once you acquire the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool, your next step is to find seven grills and destroying them using that specific pickaxe. Make sure you equip it before hopping into the game, as any grills destroyed not using the Low n’ Slow set will not count towards your tally. Once a grill is destroyed by another player, it will disappear from the game, but the good news is that there are plenty of them dotted across the Fortnite island, with many locations offering multiple grills, so it should be easy enough to find them. The seven grills don’t need to be destroyed in a single match, or in the same location, so don’t worry if you can’t break down all the required grills in one go, as your tally will carry over to the next game you play. Players who successfully complete the challenge using the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool will receive a special icon in the shape of a grill that can be placed on their banner in the game.

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Destroy snowflake decorations’ challenge – 14 Days of Fortnite Only three days remain in the 14 Days of Fortnite event, as the Day 12 challenge is now live, bringing with it a new, completely free, reward. A new daily challenge and reward goes live every day for 14 Days of Fortnite, the holiday event running over the Christmas period to end 2018. If you haven’t completed any of the challenges for the previous days, you can visit our handy 14 Days of Fortnite challenge hub. And don’t worry, even once the event is over the challenges will remain available for a limited time. For Day 12, you are required to destroy snowflake decorations, which are dotted around the map in various locations. The best place to find these snowflakes is in Pleasant Park, where they are placed on almost every building. All you need to do is either hit them once with your pickaxe or shoot them down. There are more snowflake locations elsewhere, including Tilted Towers and Paradise Palms, but Pleasant Park has more than enough to cover the 12 you will need to complete this challenge, as shown by YouTuber niitq. Here’s all the buildings with snowflakes on them in Pleasant Park – bear in mind that some of these will have multiple snowflakes. 800If you are curious, here’s all the locations on the map where snowflakes can be found. There is also a high concentration in Tilted Towers, but you’re more likely to run into enemies trying to take you out here. 800Make sure that once you have destroyed enough snowflakes, you stay in the match until you are eliminated or win – leaving the game early can cause you to lose your progress. Once you have destroyed 12, you will be granted the Day 12 reward, which, suitably, is the snowflake emoticon. If you’re stuck on any of the previous challenges, we’ve got full location guides for those too, so you can get them all done ASAP. • Fortnite: How to complete “Destroy an Ice Shard and deal damage to the Ice Legion” | Ice Storm challenges locations – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete “Destroy an Ice Shard and deal damage to the Ice Legion” | Ice Storm challenges locations Day four of Fortnite Battle Royale‘s Ice Storm event is here and that means there are two more challenges made available for players to complete. The two challenges, eight and nine of the Ice Storm event, require players to deal 2,000 points of damage to the Ice Legion in a single match and destroy an Ice Shard in ten different matches. The Ice Legion is the army of various zombie-like creatures that spawn on the map and try to inflict damage upon players. Conveniently, they all spawn from large Ice Shards that can be found sticking out of the ground at certain points on the map. The best tactic for completing these challenges is to land at Wailing Woods since it almost always has an Ice Shard in the middle of the maze and also since a lot of people don’t usually land there. A smart idea is to wait until the Ice Legion monsters start spawning in then go for destroying them and the Ice Shard at the same time, knocking out both challenges in a single go. Obviously, if a player lands near and Ice Shard straightaway, they will have to use whatever weapon or lethal item they may find to try and complete the challenges. For those who decide to land where they regularly would and loot up first, there are several good weapons or items of choice they can use for these quests. One good option is the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, which has unlimited ammo and put in the game specifically to be used against the Ice Legion. Other good choices are Assault Rifles, Pistols, and Explosive Weapons, as using those would help gain progress on previous challenges at the same time. The Mounted Turret and Dynamite can also be very powerful in this instance as they could be used to swiftly destroy the Ice Shard and the Ice Legion that spawns. To view the full list of all of the Ice Storm challenges currently available, as well as rewards, guides, and more, visit our ‘How to complete Ice Storm challenges’ hub.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Collect wood from a Pirate Ship or Viking Ship’ Week 10, Season 9 challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Collect wood from a Pirate Ship or Viking Ship’ Week 10, Season 9 challenge Epic GamesSeason 9, Week 10 challenges go live on Thursday, July 11, with a couple of difficult challenges for players to sink their teeth into as they attempt to unlock Battle Stars for their Battle Pass. This staged challenge may prove tricky for players, as they try to figure out where they need to go to complete each stage, with Fortnite fans required to travel across the map in a specific order if they hope to finish this task. Stage 1: Collect 100 Wood from a Pirate Ship or Viking ship The first stage of this challenge is fairly straightforward, with players tasked with harvesting some wood from either of the two ships found on the map. The Pirate Ship sits in the harbor at Lazy Lagoon, and due to its massive size it will definitely be the easiest to harvest materials from, although it’s likely to be busier than the Viking Ship which sits on a hill overlooking Snobby Shores. Stage 2: Collect 100 Stone from a Fork Knife or Umbrella The second stage of this challenge will prove more challenging, as players need to collect stone from “a Fork Knife or Umbrella.” This is because you aren’t looking for physical versions of these items, but rather for the shapes which have been dug into the landscape of the island. The good news is that both these locations, found at The Block and Fatal Fields, are full of stone, so if you land there you’re likely to get your hands on some of it. Stage 3: Collect 100 Metal from a Robot Factory There’s only one place you can go to finish this challenge, and that’s straight to Pressure Plant, which has been built into the southern face of the volcano. Thankfully, almost everything in Pressure Plant is made of metal, so start swinging and you should get the 100 materials in no time. Because this is a staged challenge, you will need to visit these locations in order, so don’t try and skip from Stage 1 to Stage 3, as your progress won’t be counted. Completing this challenge will reward players with five Battle Stars in total, with anyone who completes all seven challenges receiving a 10,000 XP bonus.

  • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Dance in front of different Holiday Trees’ challenge – 14 Days of Fortnite – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Dance in front of different Holiday Trees’ challenge – 14 Days of Fortnite The ninth day of 14 Days of Fortnite is upon us, which means a new challenge is now available – and will reward players with another free item. Every day a new challenge goes live in Fortnite for the holiday event, and every day you can earn a free reward, varying in rarity. If you haven’t completed any of the challenges for previous days – such as the five gold rings challenge for day 5 – you can find a full list and guide of all 14 Days of Fortnite challenges here. For Day 9, you are tasked to ‘Dance in front of different holiday trees’ – nine in total – keeping the tradition going of the number of iterations matching the day we’re on. There are 13 holiday (Christmas) tree locations in total, meaning there are plenty to choose from. The map below shows all the locations of holiday trees on the map. As you can see, the highest concentration is in the south east of the map, so if you’re looking to get the challenge done fast, this may be the best landing spot. As always, make sure to complete any match that you are in, either by being eliminated or winning the game, otherwise your challenge progress may not track. Once you have completed the challenge, leaks suggest you will get this snow globe icon. 500If you have been busy over the holiday period and are behind on the challenges, don’t panic, as you will be able to catch up with them even when the 14 Days of Fortnite event is over. In addition to the daily challenges there are also fresh LTM’s being added each day to battle royale, plus free Llama’s for Save the World players.

  • Fortnite: How to collect ‘100 of each material within 60 seconds’ for Junk Storm Mission – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to collect ‘100 of each material within 60 seconds’ for Junk Storm Mission Epic GamesThe fourth week of Fortnite Missions are now live, and one of the brand-new challenges taks players with collection 100 of each material within 60 seconds of landing on the ground after jumping from the Battle Bus. The V10.10 Content Update introduced the brand new Junk Rift item, but for this Fortnite Season 10 challenge, you’ll be using the game’s oldest item – your trusty harvesting tool. That’s because you’ll need to collect 100 pieces of each of the game’s three materials – wood, stone, and metal – within a 60 second period of you landing on the island after you eject yourself from the Battle Bus. While this prestige challenge may sound impossible, the key to completing it isn’t necessarily about how quickly you move, but rather about how clever you are regarding where you land. This is because there are some locations on the island that have all of these materials in abundance inside a small location, so landing at them will make your job a whole lot easier. First off, attempting to complete this challenge in one of the game’s core modes is a mistake, as the harvesting rates are too low and will make it pretty challenging to get 100 of each material in less than 60 seconds. Instead, Fortnite‘s Team Rumble mode is the best bet for completing this task with ease, as it offers an elevated drop rate for wood, brick and metal, meaning you don’t need to break as many items to reach your target. After that, it’s all about picking your spots, and one of the easiest to finish this challenge is Junk Junction. The location is full of wooden pallets and wooden furniture, the building itself is made of brick, and the squashed cars give you easy access to metal, thus helping you reach your quota. The wooded area to the west of Lazy Lagoon is also a good spot, as the trees are an easy way to grab wood, but the metal and stone objects scattered throughout the forest means its another handy way to knock this challenge out. One of the smashed houses at Snobby Shores also has these items in abundance, but this might be a tough place to complete this challenge as another player landing here could see them hoover up the materials you desperately need. If you would like to see a few of the places that are the best spots for finding the 100 materials you need, we’ve marked them on this map below. Remember, you’ll need to be quick, as the 60 seconds start from the moment you touch the floor. You’ll know you have completed this challenge when a pop-up appears alerting you of the fact, so if you grab your 100 of each material and don’t see any message, it’s likely that you weren’t quick enough, and will have to start all over again in the next match.

  • Fortnite: How to best complete the Boogie Bomb and Presents challenge | 14 Days of Fortnite – Day 7 challenge guide and map – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to best complete the Boogie Bomb and Presents challenge | 14 Days of Fortnite – Day 7 challenge guide and map Day seven of the 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event has gone live on December 25 and brought with it a new daily challenge for players to complete. The seventh challenge requires players to use the Boogie Bomb grenade and/or the new Present item a combined seven times. There is no requirement forcing players to use each of the two items a certain number of times as long as the combined number of uses add up to seven. Furthermore, players do not have to use the Boogie Bomb against an opponent; just throwing it and activating the disco ball grenade is enough to count as a use for the purposes of the challenge. As for the new Presents, which act like gift shaped Port-a-Forts, throwing and spawning the giant gift will also count as a use for the challenge. Upon completion, players will receive the Merry Munchkin pet as a reward, which is an angry little gingerbread character that sits in a chained bucket. Players will want to complete the challenge and earn the reward because it could eventually become rare and those who do not do the challenge may never get another chance at acquiring it. Nothing like a new friend for the holidays. Complete your new challenges and earn the Gingerbread Pet today! pic.twitter.com/zRKBh2uyR3 — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 25, 2018 While the premise of the challenge seems simple enough, coming across Boogie Bombs and Presents may take time, depending on the luck of the loot. Presents can be found through chests, supply drops, and random floor drops, while Boogie Bombs can be found via chests. While players cannot control their luck when it comes to finding these items, they can improve it by landing in areas that have a lot more chests than others, such as Tilted Towers (35 chests) or Happy Hamlet (26 chests). A full graphic showing how many chests spawn it at every point of interest on the Fortnite map can be seen below, courtesy of Reddit user ‘Z444R.’ With yet another seven days to go for this 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event, there will be a lot more themed challenges in store for players to complete. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @Dexerto and check our 14 Days of Fortnite challenge guide hub daily for tips and maps to help you easily complete all of the challenges.

  • Fortnite: How to best destroy Ranged Ice Fiends and Golden Ice Brutes | Ice Storm challenge locations – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to best destroy Ranged Ice Fiends and Golden Ice Brutes | Ice Storm challenge locations The third day of the Ice Storm event in Fortnite Battle Royale is upon us and there are two more challenges available for players to complete. The two challenges, which are the sixth and seventh of the Ice Storm event, require players to destroy 150 Ranged Ice Fiends and 20 Golden Ice Brutes. These creatures, of course, belong to the Ice Legion, an army various different zombie-like creatures that spawn in on the map and try to inflict damage uopn players. A strong weapon of choice for dealing with the Ice Legion creatures is the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, which has an infinite amount of ammo and has been added to the map specifically to help fight these monsters. Read More: When does Fortnite’s v7.20 Content Update go live and what’s in it? – Everything we know so far – Another good option would be using a Mounted Turret that’s placed in front of where they spawn, or using Assault Rifles, Pistols, or Explosive Weapons, as causing damage with those will simultaneously gain progress in some of the other challenges. Make sure not to confuse these with the regular Ice Fiends, as the Ranged ones are taller, having glowing heads and torsos, and can launch deadly snowball attacks from afar. A good strategy from completing this challenge is to play conservatively until the middle phases of the game, then visit an Ice Shard to try and get a Brute to spawn in. If it’s taking too long for a Brute to appear, it’s best to just leave to another Ice Shard to conserve time and try to get as many as possible before it becomes to difficult. • Fortnite players discover how many rocks it takes to kill The Rock in Chapter 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite players discover how many rocks it takes to kill The Rock in Chapter 3 Epic GamesFortnite players took down Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s “The Foundation” Chapter 3 boss using nothing but rocks to topple one of the harder NPC battles so far. Throughout the ordeal, these players used over a hundred rocks and dozens of evasive maneuvers to pull off one of the strangest bits of irony in the battle royale so far. In doing so, the group found out just how many lumps of coal (rocks) it takes to bring The Rock (The Foundation) to his knees and created one of the funniest community clips from Chapter 3. Defeating The Rock with rocks In their attempt to pull off the feat, these players loaded up The Sanctuary with tons of coal in order to have enough of a stockpile to last throughout the fight. Taking down The Foundation is no easy task. He’s armed with a vicious MK-Seven assault rifle that packs a wallop once the fight gets going as well as an ability that throws a barrage of rocks to his foes. While there are plenty of ways to take down the Fortnite boss, a group of players decided to give the NPC a “taste of his own medicine” by putting memes over tactics. All in all, it took 115 pieces of coal to defeat The Foundation and complete one of the hardest self-imposed challenges in Fortnite. “This community is taking it too far,” one commenter said of the clip. The Fortnite community seemed to enjoy the feat, considering how annoying the NPC is to take down in the first place. This is a prime example of Fortnite players’ knack to take what’s in the battle royale and elevate it with a bit of imagination and a whole lot of patience.

  • Fortnite hotfix makes War Machine run out of fuel with big nerfs – Dexerto

Fortnite hotfix makes War Machine run out of fuel with big nerfs Epic Games/DexertoOne of Fortnite’s mobility items in Chapter 5 Season 4 has just received some big nerfs. Here’s everything you need to know. Aside from new weapons, Fortnite is known to introduce new mobility items to the game. Last season, we got the Mythic Cars, and now, in Chapter 5, Season 4, players can finally get their hands on the newly introduced War Machine Hover Jets. The War Machine Hover Jets don’t just let you float in the air, they can also be used to boost yourself forward, allowing rotation between different POIs easily. While it was a welcome addition at first, thanks to a deadly combo and how players used it to shower bullets from above, it quickly received the balancing treatment from Epic. As shared by well-known Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR via a post on X, some of the adjustments to the Hover Jets include using more fuel to boost, having a slightly longer duration on boost, and decreasing the boosting speed. Additionally, players can use the boost less often now. What this means is that while you can essentially still pick up the Hover Jets to maneuver around the map, it’s not going to keep you boosted in the air as long as you previously could. Since you’ll be consuming more fuel to boost, expect to recharge more often on the ground once you’re out of it. Though with Shockwave Grenade and Flowberry Fizz still around in the game, not to mention launch pads, players can always opt for other alternatives when it comes to mobility. Either way, the War Machine Hover Jets weren’t the only things to get nerfed. As expected, Captain America’s Shield and War Machine’s Arsenal have also received several tweaks to balance them out in the game. In addition, the spawn rates of certain items and weapons have also been reduced in Chapter 5, Season 4. And so far, this has been quite a change that the community doesn’t quite welcome.

  • Fortnite Houseparty: How to use new video chat feature & get free Wrap – Dexerto

Fortnite Houseparty: How to use new video chat feature & get free Wrap Epic Games/HousepartyWith Fortnite’s brand new update, Epic Games has added integration with Houseparty, which allows players to video chat while playing the hit battle royale game. You’ll even be able to unlock a special wrap for your weapons. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Fortnite Season 4 is almost on its way out, with it set to end at the tailend of November. Despite this, Epic Games still has a few cards up their sleeves for players before Chapter 5 starts. One of these new features is the implementation of Houseparty, a service that allows players to communicate with each other. Added in the v14.60 update, the new Houseparty feature will be available for Fortnite players to start using on November 18, according to Epic Games’ blog post. But how does it work and how can players set it up? Here’s everything you need to know about the brand new feature in the popular battle royale game so that you can be ready when it goes live in-game. What is Fortnite x Houseparty? According to the company themselves, Houseparty is a social media app that allows eight people to video chat at one time. Think of something like Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts, but only for eight people. Players can add friends and invite them into private video chats. For the Fortnite implementation, players will need Houseparty installed on their iOS or Android device in order to properly frame the camera on your face. That being said, the chat will appear on the side of your Fortnite game while you’re playing. Unfortunately, the Houseparty implementation will only be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC for the time being, so if you’re on Xbox or Switch, you’re out of luck for now. Fortnite x Houseparty in-game reward Players who link their Houseparty account with their Epic account will be rewarded with a free in-game Rainbow Fog wrap, which can be used on any weapon in Fortnite. The wrap itself is pretty cool to look at and seems to be at least partially inspired by Houseparty’s hot pink and yellow color combination. Because the app is only available on PlayStation devices and PC, players on other systems have another way to get their hands on the Rainbow Fog wrap. According to Epic, from November 20 and November 26, players who play five Fortnite matches with friends will receive the wrap by December 4, 2020. It’s unclear if this method is available for PC and PlayStation players as well. Fortnite x Houseparty account link instructions We’re so glad to see you all looking forward to our new feature! We’ll update everyone as soon as you can link your account to use Houseparty video chat in Fortnite. 👋 — Houseparty (@houseparty) November 18, 2020 Linking your two accounts is a bit of a pain. Between downloading apps and signing up for services you more than likely don’t have accounts for, it’s hassle in order to use this new service. That being said, it may be worth it to those who want a new way to chat with their friends or if you simply want the new weapon wrap. Download Houseparty on your iOS or Android device and create an account. – In the app, link your Epic Games account with your Houseparty account using the in-app prompts. – You’re two accounts should then be linked and video calls will show up on screen the next time you start up Fortnite on your PC or PlayStation device. – All in all, it seems like a great feature for those who want a new way to chat with their friends. Here’s hoping that Epic implements more services like this in the future.

  • New Fortnite hotfix adds Pump Shotgun replacement & vaults Kinetic Boomerang – Dexerto

New Fortnite hotfix adds Pump Shotgun replacement & vaults Kinetic Boomerang Epic GamesFortnite hotfix v25.11 has officially introduced the Pump Shotgun’s replacement and vaulted the Kinetic Boomerang. Leaked details from earlier this week suggested the Pump Shotgun would return to Fortnite with a catch. According to the leak, instead of functioning as players remembered, the classic weapon would resurface with a tighter spread and long-range capabilities. The other topic of interest – the Kinetic Boomerang – is a different matter entirely. This particular weapon joined the loot pool in Chapter 4 Season 3, serving as a solid utility weapon for mid-range attacks. Interestingly, Fortnite’s newest hotfix has changed the game for both; and players are already voicing their disappointment. Epic vaults Kinetic Boomerang in newest Fortnite hotfix HYPEX and iFireMonkey report that Fortnite v25.11 has issued changes centered around a few fan-favorite weapons. For one, the Pump Shotgun returns under a new name – Sharp Tooth Shotgun. As previously leaked, this overhauled version of the gun can fire long-range, boasts a tighter spread, and deals damage at Legendary Rarity. The patch also removed the Kinetic Boomerang, and it’s not clear if the weapon will resurface anytime soon. According to another post from HYPEX, Epic vaulted the Boomerang “due to an issue with players losing control when rebooted.” Regarding the Sharp Tooth Shotgun, some fans aren’t too pleased with the changes to the original Pump. One Twitter user wrote, “Tight spread? So they’ve ruined it to be another sniper shotgun like the Heavy?” Meanwhile, many are surprised that the Kinetic Boomerang is already out despite a recent Fortnite update buffing it. “Didn’t they JUST buff the boomerang like 2 days ago?” a user asked under the iFireMonkey tweet. “So basically anything kinetic gets vaulted,” another person said in reference to the Kinetic Blade’s removal in May. It would seem some things on Fortnite Island simply aren’t meant to be.

  • Fortnite hotfix makes major change to storm circle in forgotten biome – Dexerto

Fortnite hotfix makes major change to storm circle in forgotten biome Epic GamesOne recent Fortnite hotfix has shaken up the way storm circles land on the Battle Royale map, preventing them from closing in on one forgotten biome. Fortnite players have had a good time with the recent update 31.10, with new features such as Shuri’s Black Panther Claws and the Ultra Doom mythic that has a scarce spawn chance. Nearly a week after the update dropped, Epic Games decided to make a major change to how storm circles work in Chapter 5 Season 4. As reported by many Fortnite leak and news accounts on X, the latest Fortnite hotfix made it impossible for storm circles to close in on the Wasteland biome. This is the sand-covered desert biome in the southern region of the Absolute Doom map. While this may sound like a silly update to implement, there’s one good reason for this to happen. Epic Games presumably made this change because Loot Island never spawns there. Since there’s a 5% chance that the floating island will become the Isle of Doom, which grants the Ultra Doom mythic, preventing the storm from closing in the Wasteland ensures that players have an easier time getting to Doom Island. Fortnite fans have already complained that the Ultra Doom mythic is way too hard to get. Not only because it has a 5% spawn chance, but getting to the island before any other players without dying to claim the power is even tougher. While some of the replies to the post on X were okay with the change and knew why it was implemented, many fans weren’t so happy. “Desert part of the map gonna be so dead,” one reply stated. After another player explained why this hotfix was required, a response questioned why Epic didn’t just make the floating islands start spawning over the Wasteland. The first user then explained why this would take more than just a hotfix. Hopefully, fans will now have a much easier time getting to the Isle of Doom with the update. Although we may receive another spawn rate boost, the previous weekend buff left players disappointed.

Marvel larrikin Deadpool has been a major part of Season 2, while pop sensation Travis Scott used Fortnite to debut his latest single. On the film front, Fortnite played host to an exclusive Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker clip back in December last year. The battle royale also held a massive event in the build-up to the Avengers: Endgame release in May 2019. Needless to say, Fortnite has had its fingers in plenty of pop-culture pies. Now Epic is going one step further; they have confirmed plans to use the battle royale’s new non-violent Party Royale community hub to play a full Nolan feature film. Industry figurehead Geoff Keighley confirmed the news on Twitter soon after the Tenet trailer premiered: “Just announced: Christopher Nolan is bringing one of his iconic films to Fortnite this summer for a full-length free screening for fans!” Just announced during the Tenet trailer premiere – Christopher Nolan is bringing one of his iconic films to @FortniteGame this summer for a full length free screening for fans! pic.twitter.com/ZzmqvhYlpW — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) May 22, 2020 The reveal Nolan would be bringing one of his highly-regarded classics to Epic’s 2018 title — to be played multiple times on Party Royale’s “big screen” — came after Tenet’s international trailer debuted in the battle royale on May 21. Tenet may have been the focal point of the new event this week, but it’s unlikely the upcoming time-traveling film will actually be the Nolan movie aired in all its feature-length glory once summer finally arrives. The question is, which of the British filmmakers’ iconic flicks will be making its way to Fortnite? There are two clear frontrunners for the honor: dream-diving ‘Inception’ and gritty Batman release ‘The Dark Knight.’ The Dark Knight makes a lot of sense, especially considering Batman crossovers have already been rife in Fortnite over the last few years. Inception, on the other hand, is fast-approaching its 10th anniversary, which puts it right in pole-position as a suitable choice for the ambitious crossover event. Epic has yet to officially confirm which of Nolan’s “iconic” movies will actually be rolling into the Party Royale cinema later this year, however. Until they do, Fortnite and Nolan fans alike will just have to guess which it’ll be. Meanwhile, the famed director will finally be adding another film to his long list of reality-warping, mind-bending flicks when Tenet finally arrives later this year. The 2020 release is currently penciled in to premiere on July 16.

  • What is the Hop Drop low gravity effect in Fortnite & how to get it – Dexerto

What is the Hop Drop low gravity effect in Fortnite & how to get it Epic GamesA Hop Drop is a special consumable item that’s only available in Fortnite during the Halloween season, so we’ve got details of where to find this limited-time item. There are loads of things happening during Fortnitemares 2022, from spooky skins in the item shop to zombies appearing around the map and a brand new set of Fortnitemares Quests to complete. One of these challenges requires players to “jump while you have the Hop Drop low gravity effect”, which might be a little confusing if you’re not sure what the Hop Drop low gravity effect actually is. Below, we’ve put together a simple guide to help you figure out what a Hop Drop is and where you can find them. What is a Hop Drop in Fortnite? A Hop Drop is a consumable item in Fortnite that gives players a low gravity effect when consumed. This means you’ll be able to jump higher and further than you usually can, which is great for making a quick escape from a heated battle or for helping you reach the top of a tall building or mountain. Hop Drops are usually only available for a limited time during events like Fortnitemares, so you won’t always be able to find them around the map. Where to find Hop Drops in Fortnite Hop Drops can be found inside buckets of candy that look like pumpkins. These are scattered around the map but are usually located outside shops or houses, so it’s a good idea to search POIs for them. One of the best locations to find Hop Drops in Fortnite is Chrome Crossroads as there are quite a few candy buckets there, such as the one outside the balcony shop at the southwestern corner of the POI. An alternative way of getting a Hop Drop is to purchase one from Cuddle Scream Leader for 100 Gold Bars. This character is only around during Fortnitemares and is located northeast of Tilted Towers. That’s everything you need to know about Hop Drops! • Fortnite hits new all-time total players record – Dexerto

Fortnite hits new all-time total players record Epic GamesEpic Games announced a major milestone for Fortnite as the battle keeps on growing – and just in time for the game’s live Party Royale Premiere. Through its first ten seasons, the end of the world event, and a successful launch of Chapter 2, Fortnite has amassed over 350 million registered players – and is primed to keep that number growing. The devs also announced the number of hours people have poured into Fortnite in just the month of April, coupling the impressive player count with an even more impressive number signaling the amount of retention it has on active users. In 30 days, the Fortnite community had over 3.2 billion hours cached into the Fortnite servers. Against all memers, the battle royale isn’t quite dead yet. In fact, it’s almost the opposite of dead. The Fortnite developers have been creating unique experiences for audiences to congregate and celebrate within the Epic Game servers, as seen in the case of the game’s record-breaking Travis Scott concert. The next festival in the lineup will be on Friday, May 8 at 6 PM PDT / 9 PM ET when artists Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki and deadmau5 will take the Main Stage in the Party Royale Premiere. Fortnite now has over 350 million registered players! In April, players spent over 3.2 billion hours in game. 🙌🥳 Let’s keep the party going with our Party Royale Premiere LIVE on May 8 at 9PM ET featuring @DillonFrancis @steveaoki @deadmau5: https://t.co/H18c3UgBL1 pic.twitter.com/Cgt3r7LXQO — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 6, 2020 While it’s always worth it to make it to the live show, there will be an encore for the festivities the following day on May 9 at 11 AM PDT to 12 PM PDT / 2 PM to 3 PM ET. Fortnite’s Party Royale will be an entire playlist unto itself that will restrict any weapons or mats, while giving players fun side attractions like the Skydive Rift, Fishsticks’ Boat Race and new items to explore like the Paint Launcher. Starting with the Marshmello live concert, special releases have only transformed and evolved into epic in-game events like the Mecha-Monster fight that took over the main part of the island. Of course, the Travis Scott concert famously attracted longtime fans of the game, as well as new Ragers that had yet to log hours into that battle royale. With Epic combining the grand allure of these in-game experiences and refining the title with every update, it’s only a matter of time before Fortnite will celebrate its next target accolade of 400 million players.

  • Fortnite hits hard on “bush campers” in new Chapter 5 Season 2 update – Dexerto

Fortnite hits hard on “bush campers” in new Chapter 5 Season 2 update Epic GamesDue to a new change in the latest Chapter 5 Season 2 update, it seems like “bush camping” may no longer be a viable strat. After what seemed like an eternity, the new Fortnite season has finally dropped and it’s already clear that players are more than eager to join the game as queue times get pretty rough. As with previous seasons, new skins, items, mythics, and other exciting additions have been introduced in the game to shake things up. However, aside from all these shiny new things players can get their hands on in the Battle Royale, Fortnite has also rolled out a particular change that seems to upset some players. As pointed out in the game’s latest update, it’s apparent that players will no longer receive points for surviving without taking damage. This essentially means that the “bush camping” strategy may not be as viable as before, as players are now encouraged to get more involved in fights. For the uninitiated, this strategy involves hiding in a bush, usually using a certain outfit that blends well, and taking out unsuspecting players the whole game. So far, players seem to have split opinions regarding this change. Some players are upset that this would make it harder to reach Unreal, while others rejoice that “it’s over for campers.” It’s hard to get Fortnite content creator BushCampDad out of the picture when it comes to something like this. Being a player who has reached the highest rank solely by bush camping, others quickly mentioned that they felt terrible for him. “Bushcampdad in shambles [right now],” mentioned one player in an X post discussing the new changes. “I don’t feel bad about anyone being affected by this that camp religiously except bushcampdad,” mentioned another. BushCampDad himself spoke up about this on X. He wrote, “I’VE BEEN NERFED! Don’t worry, I’ve been cooking up some new strats.” Despite new changes affecting the game, it will be interesting to see how things pan out, considering that the game now has new weapons and even an all-new mythic item that can make players fly.

  • Fortnite hits incredible new milestone amid competition with Apex Legends – Dexerto

Fortnite hits incredible new milestone amid competition with Apex Legends Fortnite Battle Royale has hit an impressive milestone that will be a huge positive for it in the midst of a growing rivalry with Apex Legends. According to Geoff Knightley, the producer and creator of The Game Awards, Fortnite hit 7.6 million concurrent players on Saturday, February 16. This amount of concurrents was good enough to be the best “non-event” day in Fortnite’s history, meaning a day during which there were no in-game events, competitions, or spectacles. This comes on top of Epic Games officially confirming that the number of concurrent viewers during the recent in-game Marshmello concert peaked at a whopping 10.7 million players. Epic Games has now confirmed what I reported: the @marshmellomusic concert hit a peak of 10.7 million concurrent viewers. In addition last Saturday Fortnite hit 7.6 million concurrent players in game, the best “non event” day in game history. pic.twitter.com/dY7CBBmPxx — Geoff Keighley (@geoffkeighley) February 21, 2019 If there was a day for Fortnite to have its best “non-event” day, last Saturday makes perfect sense, considering it was the first weekend after the release of the highly popular v7.40 update. The update introduced many features that players had been asking for into the game’s default core modes, such as players getting +50 health/shield boost and 150 materials for each elimination. Meanwhile, this will also be seen as a hugely positive sign for Fortnite at Epic Games, especially since it has seen its place atop the gaming world recently challenged by Apex Legends, the new kids on the battle royale block. Since its release, Apex Legends has hit incredible milestone after incredible milestone in record-breaking time, leading many to believe that the first true rival to Fortnite has finally arrived.

  • Fortnite hits cheater with perma-ban for using Roblox exploits – Dexerto

Fortnite hits cheater with perma-ban for using Roblox exploits Epic GamesA Fortnite player called on the community after receiving a 24-hour ban in their first match back to the battle royale in months. Fortnite is ever-changing, with new seasons introducing new mechanics, cosmetics, and worlds to explore. Looking to jump into the latest season after a few months off, one Fortnite player quickly found themselves back in the lobby with a 24-hour ban notification on their screen. Citing their game was laggy, they were kicked from a match, tried to queue again, and were hit with “You cannot play this game mode at this time.” While the player’s explanation was relatively longer, they summed up the chain of events in a post shared to the Fortnite subreddit. The usual troubleshooting tips and tricks came through, such as playing on Ethernet cable versus WiFi, while another recommended shutting off other software while playing Fortnite. However, the deeper the thread goes, the more the player’s questionable history comes to light, as community members noted the player’s use of cheats in Roblox. The OP shared: “I think it was the exploit I have for Roblox that triggered it. I uninstalled it and just overall cleaned out my PC for anything else. If I get unbanned and this happens again then idk.” Lesson learned, Epic Games takes cheating and exploits seriously, no matter if it’s Fortnite or not. The player now faces the likelihood of a permanent ban as others shared that a 24-hour ban may likely evolve.

  • Fortnite hiring a community manager – and you don’t need any qualifications – Dexerto

Fortnite hiring a community manager – and you don’t need any qualifications Epic Games have recently put up a job listing for a ‘community influencer manager’ specifically for Fortnite, and you may be surprised at how little qualification and experience the role requires. Fortnite’s massive rise to popularity has been matched in parallel by the rise of some of the internet’s biggest gaming influencers, on social media, YouTube and Twitch. Epic Games clearly understands the role of this influence, and so is hiring someone to expand in this area and further the connection between Fortnite, the influencers and the fans. All they ask is that you are “a passionate gamer with a strong track record of managing communities,” with no specific qualification or experience required. “The ideal candidate will have experience engaging online communities across a variety of platforms from social (think Twitter and Facebook) to gamer focused media like Twitch and YouTube.” They ask for a “mix” of qualifications like great written and verbal communication, familiarity with Twitch and YouTube, experience creating content and experience managing a gaming community. On camera experience is also a bonus. So, the only real experience asked for is some involvement previously managing a gaming community, but it is not absolutely necessary, and they do not mention at what level this should have been in the description. More important will likely be your knowledge and understanding of the content creation and influencer world when it comes to video games. One possible hitch is that the job is located in Cary, North Carolina, so may require relocation if you are from farther afield.

  • Fortnite hitboxes: Do skins have a competitive advantage? – Dexerto

Fortnite hitboxes: Do skins have a competitive advantage? Epic GamesThe debate surrounding whether Fortnite skins affect hitboxes has ignited numerous discussions among players. It’s critical to know whether cosmetics offer a competitive edge in gameplay. Here’s what we know about Fortnite skins and their impact on hitboxes. In video games, hitboxes are a crucial element of character design and combat mechanics. A hitbox is an invisible, three-dimensional region surrounding a character’s model. When an opponent’s attack or projectile collides with this hitbox, it registers as a hit, resulting in damage or other gameplay effects. However, Fortnite players believe that each skin has varying hitboxes, offering them a competitive advantage. Do Fortnite skins have a competitive advantage due to hitboxes? No, Epic Games claims that none of the Fortnite cosmetics provide a gameplay advantage, as they strive to make the game fair for all players. They’ve assured its players of fair play and credible sources have debunked theories of pay-to-win cosmetics in the game. However, the misconception regarding skin hitboxes was created by a subset of players who believed that wearing thinner skins enhanced their gameplay. While they cited “smaller hitboxes” in slimmer skins as the primary reason, it’s actually due to the screen space larger skins utilize during gameplay and when using ADS. Therefore, even pros and streamers favor smaller skins during Fortnite gameplay. Some players still believe that slimmer skin models have a competitive advantage despite the proven evidence. One of the most popular skins that fed on this theory is the female customizable superhero skin. While these skins may not take up as much screen space as others with larger builds, they still have the same hitboxes, So there you have it – that’s all you need to know if Fortnite skins have a competitive advantage or not. • Fortnite leak claims car hijacking feature is coming in Season 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite leak claims car hijacking feature is coming in Season 3 Epic GamesAccording to a brand-new rumor, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will introduce a new car hijacking feature. Fortnite dropped cars on the Island a few years ago with the release of Chapter 2 Season 3. Only a handful of drivable vehicles were available at the time, but Epic Games has since expanded the selection to include sports cars, SUVs, and trucks. Now, yet another major change to the status quo sits on the horizon, according to newly leaked details. Reliable Fortnite leaker SpushFNBR (via HYPEX) reports that a new hijack vehicle feature will go live in Chapter 5 Season 3. Though Epic remains hard at work on the mechanic, SpushFNBR has shared a few details about what players should expect. “Steal” is the prompt that will appear when a car can be hijacked. The attempt will fail if the vehicle crashes or sudden movements distract from the prompt’s completion. In addition, players will have the ability to cancel hijacking attempts. The leaker also claimed Fortnite Season 3’s new hijacking cars feature will come with a cooldown setting, though how long the timer may last is not yet known. Regardless of whether or not any of the above proves true, Fortnite faithful have plenty of new content releases to sink their teeth into. Notably, Fortnite Festival Season 3 just added a Billie Eilish-themed Festival Pass, complete with a new skin, emotes, and Jam Tracks inspired by the Grammy-winning artist. Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 5 is due to arrive in May 2024.

  • Fortnite hidden XP Drop location for Chaos Rising challenges – Dexerto

Fortnite hidden XP Drop location for Chaos Rising challenges Epic Games have run out of letters to hide in the Fortnite loading screens for Season 1, Chapter 2 and have replaced it with a hidden XP boost. If you would like to know where to find it for the Chaos Rising challenges, we’ve got the exact location. Previously, week-by-week the game’s developers would hide one of the letters from the game’s name, which is Fortnite of course, inside the loading screen and players would have to use the clue to find it in-game to check off one of the weekly tasks. Having already given fans the opportunity to find F all the way to E, now there’s something different available – a secret boost of XP. Unlike many other weekly loading screens, however, this one is certainly harder to see than many that have come before it. So, let’s take a look at where to find it. Fortnite Week 9 loading screen clue Week 9’s graphic, which can be unlocked by completing at least eight missions from the Chaos Rising challenge list, shows a character staring at a few different television monitors, almost like a scene from inside a hatch in the popular TV series Lost. One of these small monitors has the answer you’re looking for in terms of the XP Drop location and we’re going to make it that bit easier for you by circling it below. Once you have identified this location in the image, you’re going to have to search for it across the Fortnite Battle Royale map, but we’ll help you with that as well a little later. Where is the XP drop hidden in Fortnite? Knowing what you now know, you’re going to have to find Kevin the Cube in-game and it’s not too difficult to reach. Simply jump off the Battle Bus at the start of a game and head over to Steamy Stacks. Here, at the power plant landing spot, you can find the cube. It’s located at the very front of the area, in the parking lot, as seen in the graphic below. Once you have collected the XP Drop you will be rewarded with some bonus XP and will have crossed off another one of the Chaos Rising challenges – of which there are 11 in total. It’s worth noting that this is only available to Battle Pass owners as well, so if you don’t own it, there’s no way of collecting the hidden drop. Good luck!

  • Why the Guided Missile is disabled in Fortnite – Dexerto

Why the Guided Missile is disabled in Fortnite Epic Games have announced that they have temporarily disabled the Guided Missile while they investigate an issue with the weapon. While Epic Games haven’t officially revealed what issue they are looking into, it’s likely that they are attempting to fix a glitch involving the Guided Missiles and Shadow Stones. Players who equipped the Guided Missile Launcher and began to spam the fire button while consuming a shadow stone were able to become permanently invisible, moving around the map with enemy players unable to spot them. Epic Games may also address the ‘Always North’ glitch that has been plaguing the weapon in recent days. The ‘Always North’ bug sees rockets that are fired by the weapon always fire North, regardless of which direction the player was facing when he fired the weapon. Recently, popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins fell foul of this glitch during a livestream, with his missile firing into walls built in front of him three times, before eventually killing him. The Guided Missile has been temporarily disabled while we investigate an issue. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 12, 2018 Fortnite’s developers revealed the news regarding the Guided Missile via Twitter, stating that the item had been “temporarily disabled” while they were looking into an issue. This is the third time Epic have had problems with the Shadow Stones, which were introduced at the beginning of Season 6. The items had to be disabled just days after their launch, when clever players found a way to use the Stones to become permanently invisible. There is currently no information available about when the item will return, but we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when they become available.

  • Fortnite have vaulted the Burst Assault Rifle and some fans are devastated – Dexerto

Fortnite have vaulted the Burst Assault Rifle and some fans are devastated Fortnite’s third and final V7.10 Content Update saw the return of the Dual Pistols, but forced fans to say goodbye to one of the game’s most recognizable weapons. In the update, Epic Games took the Uncommon, Common and Rare variants of the Burst Assault Rifle and placed them into the game’s vault, alongside the Six Shooter. Many fans of the game were shocked to see the weapon removed from the game, as Epic Games had announced that the Six Shooter was leaving, but hadn’t mentioned the Burst Assault Rifle. The Uncommon, Common and Rare variants of the Burst Assault Rifle have been in Fortnite Battle Royale since its launch in September 2017, and fans of the game are sad to see it go. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT THE FUCK WAS THT FOR LIKE WHAT EVEN, NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLAINED ABOUT THEM EVER SINCE THEY CAME OUT WTFFFFFFFFFFFF — :trident:Wahidou:trident: (@NOTwahidou) January 8, 2019 However, not everyone is sad to see the back of the weapons, with many feeling they were never strong enough to compete with the normal ARs, and were glad to see them make their way out of the game. Thank god now i wont get a gray burst and a green six shooter off the start — Thomas (@aussiesplasher) January 8, 2019 While the Uncommon, Common and Rare versions of the Burst Assault Rifle are gone, the Epic and Legendary versions of the item still remain in the game, and are found in chests, floor loot and supply drops. While some are sad to see the Burst Assault Rifles gone, it’s worth remembering that just because an item has been vaulted, it doesn’t mean it’s been permanently removed from the game. The Dual Pistols were vaulted back in November, but this update saw them reinstated, as Epic Games believe that rotating weapons helps keep the game fresh and stops one item or gun dominating the game for too long.

  • Fortnite have removed Blitz but fans want to see it return permanently – Dexerto

Fortnite have removed Blitz but fans want to see it return permanently Fortnite fans on Reddit are asking Epic Games to bring back Blitz as a permanent mode, after it was removed from the game on Friday, November 9. Epic Games announced that Blitz would be leaving the game just three days after it was added back, being replaced by the Disco Domination game mode. Blitz is a quicker version of Fortnite’s classic gameplay, with an increase in loot, along with plenty of action thanks to the game’s storm closing in on players quicker. Disco Domination steps onto the dance floor to replace the Blitz LTM. Drop in and bust a move! :woman_dancing::man_dancing: pic.twitter.com/FZeMmXbwQe — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 9, 2018 Reddit user ‘Masterfirret124′ believes Epic Games should bring the game mode back as a solo playlist called ‘Quick Play’, where players are forced to go it alone in a quickly shrinking play area, instead of in squad, which is how Blitz is currently played. Quick Play would be perfect for players who don’t have a lot of time to play as games only last around fifteen minutes, compared to normal matches which generally take between 20 and 25 minutes to complete. Fortnite fans in the comments of the post were on board with this idea, describing it as “awesome”, and begging Epic Games to make this change. The Disco Domination Limited Time Mode that has replaced Blitz sees teams of 50 battle against each other, with the goal of securing the five different dancefloors spread around the map, with the team who holds them the longest winning the game. At the time of writing, it is unknown if Blitz will be making a return to the game either as a squad game or as a solo game, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as news becomes available.

Fortnite Have Announced the Final Results of the ‘Solo Showdown’ Competitive Limited Time Mode The final results have been announced for the ‘Solo Showdown’ Limited Time Mode in the popular game Fortnite: Battle Royale. The final standings were posted early on May 23rd, two days after the competition ended on May 21st at 10 AM EST.
