  • Fortnite Festival leaks tease collab with a popular female K-Pop Group – Dexerto

Fortnite Festival leaks tease collab with a popular female K-Pop Group epic gamesAccording to leaks, a female K-Pop group will likely be the headliner of Fortnite Festival in the future, here’s everything we know so far. Fortnite has been known to bring real-life celebrities to the game aside from its video game collabs. While well-known bands and musicians appearing in Fortnite isn’t something new, according to leakers, a collaboration with a “female K-POP group” will be coming in December. Initially, it was speculated that the featured group could be BLACKPINK, given that there’s an unreleased “Sour Candy” Jam Track. Though later on, ShiinaBR, one of the familiar faces in the Fortnite community and original leaker JorgeMost claimed that it will not be BLACKPINK. Instead, it might be from a different girl group. Other information also revealed that this collab will likely be the headliner of Fortnite Festival Season 7. While there’s no telling which girl group is going to make it to the game, players are already going wild with their speculations. In the comments on ShiinaBR’s post, many commented that this would be NewJeans. Others mentioned Le Sserafim, TWICE, and Aespa. “I don’t see them doing a group with more than four members, tbh, so I’m guessing Aespa; they have digital avatars which would translate into the game perfectly as well,” one user wrote in the comments. If leaks are accurate, we could be seeing a Fortnite Festival pass based on them, featuring multiple skins and other cosmetics, just like the one we have right now in Chapter 5, Season 3 with Metallica. An in-game concert event could also be a possibility. After all, Fortnite is no stranger when it comes to live events. We’ve seen Ariana Grande and Kid LAROI have their event concerts in the game, the latter even having its boss fight in the middle of the sequence. As always, given that this is all still a leak and Epic has yet to confirm anything, take all the information with a grain of salt for now.

  • Fortnite Festival finally brings Pro Lead & Bass modes to PC following player demands – Dexerto

Fortnite Festival finally brings Pro Lead & Bass modes to PC following player demands FortniteFortnite is bringing Pro Bass and Pro Lead song parts to all platforms with the new Chapter 5 Season 3 update for the Festival. Pro Lead and Pro Bass difficulty modes were first introduced with Fortnite Festival Season 3, which revealed Billie Elish as the new Icon on April 23. With Eilish also came the two modes which were limited to certain consoles with supported controllers, but this has changed with the most recent patch notes. According to the latest blog released on May 23, Fortnite has announced these changes to come with the v30.00 update (Chapter 5 Season 3): The ability to play Pro Lead and Pro Bass on any console platform or on PC, even without a supported guitar controller. – Keyboard + mouse keybind support for Pro Lead and Pro Bass! – No matter which song part you select, there will be an option to see the note highway as multi-colored gems, similar to when Pro Lead or Pro Bass is selected. – Additionally, players can now use supported guitar controllers for non-pro parts such as Vocals or Drums. With the new KBM support, players can now bind their controls for Pro Lead and Pro Bass parts. New settings will appear under keybinds that feature settings for fretting the Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange notes alongside strumming. Most of the Fortnite Festival community reacted positively to the new blog post, which addressed something Fortnite itself said was a top priority for fans. Commenters beneath the post on X were glad to see the change being made for KBM. “Hell yeah! God, that will be so nice! My brain works a ton better with color than alignments on the track,” explained one X user. Another chimed in, “It’s great that this feature is coming”. Fortnite Festival made some significant changes in the past two updates by adding support to external Guitar Hero controllers for consoles. This update will allow PC players to attach any modded controller to access the song parts which were earlier restricted behind certain instruments only.

  • Fortnite: FaZe Cizzorz’s ‘death run’ obstacle course has once again been beaten in record time – Dexerto

Fortnite: FaZe Cizzorz’s ‘death run’ obstacle course has once again been beaten in record time As we near the end of 2018, a number of Fortnite players aren’t even focusing on the game itself as FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz has set the community abuzz with his ‘death run’ obstacle course. When Epic Games released the Creative Mode to Fortnite Battle Royale, it was only a matter of time before some amazing creations popped up. While the various sculptures are no doubt awesome, it’s been an obstacle course created by Cizzorz that has everyone talking. Comprised of nine rooms filled with traps and the tiniest of platforms that players have to jump between, the course is nearly impossible for most players. Of course, that isn’t the case for everyone, though, as some have managed to tackle the daunting challenge after countless attempts. Watch Cizzorz Deathrun 7:43 from Suezhoo on www.twitch.tvThe previous world record went to ‘suezhoo,’ who managed to beat the course on December 20 with a time of 7 minutes and 45 seconds. As is usually the case, however, someone else has managed to come out and best the time by an incredibly wide margin. The player, named ‘PoopyFartyPee,’ took the challenge in stride and finished in just 4 minutes and 11 seconds to put themselves square in the lead. Make it harder next time @cizzorz https://t.co/LB8i26HGnq — PoopyFartyPee (@PoopyFartyPee) December 23, 2018 Not only did they end up finishing in record time, but they also didn’t die a single time, which sets the bar incredibly high with just a few days left in the competition. They won’t be met without a fight, though, as suezhoo sounded off in the replies to set up what should be an exciting finish. The players have until the end of the 2018 to fight for the total prize pot that is now up to $1,500, which includes the original $1,000 Cizzorz put up and the additional $500 added by Team Liquid’s Vivid when he couldn’t beat the course after 17 hours of trying.

  • Fortnite: FaZe’s Tfue explains how and why the Rift-To-Go and Grappler items should be nerfed – Dexerto

Fortnite: FaZe’s Tfue explains how and why the Rift-To-Go and Grappler items should be nerfed It’s no secret that the current weapon and item balancing in Fortnite Battle Royale needs work, and FaZe Clan pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney thinks two specific items should be nerfed. During one of his live-streams, Tfue went in-depth about the Rift-To-Go and Grappler items in Fortnite, contending that Epic Games should nerf them because their effects are too powerful and effective. The Rift-To-Go is an Epic rarity portable Rift that players can use to either instantly escape or reset their position by falling out of the sky directly over the part of the map where they activated the item. The Grappler, also an Epic item, is a gun with no cooldown or reload that players can fire at a nearby object and pull themselves towards it, allowing for a huge boost to the regular movement speed. For the Rift-To-Go, Tfue proposes that at least a five-second activation timer should be implemented so that players have to wait for its effects to begin and can’t instantly use as an easy bailout. While both of these items may be fun and useful to use in public matches, they are also available in events and tournaments, which can throw off the delicate balance that the competitive scene tries to maintain in terms of in-game items and weapons. Perhaps one way to maintain that balance is to nerf certain items during competitive events while keeping them as is for public matches, although that’s an option Epic Games have not really looked to explore.

  • Fortnite fans worry Captain Jones’ endgame is nearing soon – Dexerto

Fortnite fans worry Captain Jones’ endgame is nearing soon Epic GamesFans of Fortnite’s Captain Jones have been biting their nails at all the hints leading towards the possibility of this beloved character’s demise by the end of the current season. The Absolute Doom event for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has brought along Marvel-themed NPCs such as Shuri, Gwenpool, and even Captain Jones, one of Jonesy’s many forms. Keen-eyed Fortnite players have been sparking discussions online about the fate of Captain Jones, as many believe that Epic Games is teasing the end of this character in the Fortnite lore. Some of the first major hints that Captain Jones won’t make it to the final fight against Doctor Doom are some of the concept art for this season. This fan noticed that the Captain America shield was broken. The broken shield could signify that Captain Jones will attempt to fight Doom, but fails the mission and is defeated. This would leave a broken shield behind for Hope to finish the job, who was the one holding the shield in the art. While some replies believed it to only be an Avengers Endgame reference – Steve Rogers’ shield also broke during the fight against Thanos – there are more hints than just this line art. Another fan made a post on X with a photo of a line that Captain Jones’ NPC says if you talk to him. “You always expect one of these to be your last, I guess,” Jones says. This certainly sounds like something a character would say before their impending doom. Players have also noticed that Jones has acted somewhat of a mentor to the Hope character during Chapter 5. It would make sense for Hope to take up the mantle of the new hero, as Jones has been deemed Fortnite’s main protagonist since the start of the Battle Royale. Not all hope may be lost, of course. The same user made another post theorizing that since Jones is acting as Captain America, he may follow in the same footsteps and end up trapped somewhere instead of dying. Epic Games could trick players into thinking that Captain Jones died, but in a future season, we find out that he actually survived, just like in the First Avenger MCU film. While these are all just theories, the Fortnite fanbase seems very sure that Captain Jones’s endgame is on the horizon based on more than just a few clues. In lighter news, Fortnite fans can look forward to an upcoming LEGO Fortnite Halloween event based on a teaser trailer.

  • Call of Duty fans will love these Fornite Wrap concepts using classic Modern Warfare 2 camos – Dexerto

Call of Duty fans will love these Fornite Wrap concepts using classic Modern Warfare 2 camos Epic Games’ introduction of weapon Wraps in Fortnite Season 7 has got some fans wondering how camos from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would look in the popular battle royale game. This new Fortnite concept art, which was posted to Reddit by nhojcs, shows a whole host of camos from Infinity Ward’s popular first-person shooter – some of which took many, many headshots to unlock. These camos include Desert, Urban, Arctic, Blue Tiger, Woodland, Red Tiger, Fall and Digital. While we have seen them all in MW2, some Redditors believe if they were on Fortnite, they would fit right in. Check it out. The concept art seemed to be a hit with the community, as people were left reminiscing over the process of unlocking them in Modern Warfare 2. One user, KingBowser999, said; “Gotta love that Fall Skin I remember that grind too well,” to which Suttie__ responded: “The good old 250 headshots..the days”. While it’s highly unlikely that Fortnite would include any of Call of Duty’s camos in their game now or in the future, there’s no harm in wondering what it would look like. Weapon Wraps were made available in Fortnite Battle Royale’s v7.00 patch. They can be attached to both weapons and vehicles, but that was not the only new feature introduced by the update. Read More: Fortnite Season 7 map changes – Iceberg, Polar Peak, Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, Ziplines and more from the v7.00 update – Season 7 has brought about huge shifts on the map, with the Southwest side of the map entirely covered in snow and some new locations appearing too.

  • Fortnite fans think a vaulted item is the perfect way to combat planes – Dexerto

Fortnite fans think a vaulted item is the perfect way to combat planes Some Fortnite players believe that they’ve found a great way for people to counter attack planes on the popular battle royale title mode, with a return for a previously vaulted item to make it happen. The idea, which was posted onto the Fortnite subreddit, would potentially discourage players to use the game’s X-4 Stormwing planes as battering rams to destroy buildings. This would be done by bringing back the Clinger item, which was vaulted by Epic Games in the 7.00 patch – making it no longer available on Battle Royale mode. “Not only would sticking a Clinger to a plane be satisfying as hell, but it would deter pilots from flying too close to players that could potentially Clinger their plane and cause not only damage to the plane, but also themselves,” said Reddit user disiples. The Clinger was an uncommon explosive device which would stick to the thing you threw it at, much like a Semtex grenade from the Call of Duty games. At the moment, planes on Fortnite are able to destroy buildings upon impact and have a machine gun on the front, which the pilot can use in combat. The X-4 Stormwings have come under immense scrutiny since they were added to the game in Fortnite’s v7.00 patch as players would not initially take damage if they were destroyed, which may have encouraged pilots to use them more aggressively than perhaps Epic had hoped. Read More: Fortnite: Epic Games reveal EVERY change coming to the X-4 Stormwing plane in v7.10 update – However, the developer announced that the planes would receive a significant nerf in the v7.10 patch, which went live on December 19. Planes now take up to 50% more damage than they did previously, passengers and the pilot receive 50% damage instead of 25% when the vehicle is destroyed and boosting reduces damage from impact by half as opposed to none at all. Is the re-introduction of the Clinger really necessary since the update? We’ll leave you to decide.

  • Fortnite fans surprised over classic game throwback in new season – Dexerto

Fortnite fans surprised over classic game throwback in new season Epic Games/CapcomThe new Absolute Doom event in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has brought along a bevy of comic book-themed skins and mythics, but players didn’t expect Marvel vs. Capcom to make a reappearance via Easter Eggs. With every new season comes a new map, and this time Marvel fans have been overjoyed at the nods to the movies and comics, such as the horrifying throne in Doom’s castle. In this case, players who love the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise will enjoy these two throwbacks discovered by perceptive fans. The first Easter Egg revealed that one of Doombot’s moves was inspired by the classic fighting game. This particular Fortnite boss in Chapter 5 Season 4 makes a move where he planks and dives at the player with his feet. In the comparative screenshot of what looks to be Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Doom made the same move. Fans of this fighting-game franchise left elated replies at this discovery, and one commenter pointed out “This is the closest I think we’ve ever been to MVC4. A real MVC4.” The majority of replies also alluded to another Marvel vs. Capcom tease in Chapter 5 Season 4, as shown in this video on the secret Iron Man bunker. When streamer NickEh30 showed what this secret Iron Man bunker looked like, he and his viewers pointed out that the television inside the bunker was playing a game that looked exactly like Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The replies from this video were just as stunned at the detailed Iron Man super-fan bunker. Although it’s a small nod to this beloved fighting game, it still shows how the developers are fans of Marvel just as much as players are. Now that two separate throwbacks to the classic fighting game were spotted, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a third secret pop up. It’s only the beginning of the Absolute Doom event, so expect more Easter Eggs to come.

Dataminers have managed to find audio clips in the game’s files that suggest players could soon be trudging through mounds of the cold substance, with the storm set to roll into land over the next few weeks. Fortnite fans believe that a change in the weather isn’t the only winter surprise we will see this holiday period, as they believe that Flush Factory will get a significant update to tie in with the season. With Flush Factory directly in line of the path of the snowstorm, some think that the large building will turn into Santa’s workshop, with elves working on presents, with some suggesting that it change its name to Festive Factory or Winter Workshop. Read More: Five things we want to see added to Fortnite for winter season – Snowcrasher, Freeze Weapons, and more! – Due to Flush Factory’s location in the bottom corner of the map, it is often overlooked as a possible drop location. By updating it to have a festive feel, it might encourage some Fortnite players to choose that as their landing location. Fortnite fans have been excitedly coming up with lots of ideas for Christmas themed items and characters like the ‘Pine Patroller’ concept skin. Epic Games have yet to officially announce their plans for celebrating the holiday season in Fortnite, but with Season 6 drawing to a close and Christmas on the horizon, it’s likely we will find out more information in the near future.

  • Fortnite fans spot a glaring mistake with the Red Knight skin – Dexerto

Fortnite fans spot a glaring mistake with the Red Knight skin Eagle-eyed Fortnite fans have spotted a glaring mistake in the decision of one of the game’s most popular skins, the Red Knight. The Red Knight became one of the most popular skins in the game when it was released during Fortnite’s Season 2, with fans comparing it to the legendary Black Knight skin that was included as part of that season’s Battle Pass. Available from the item shop for 2000 V-Bucks, players can often still be seen wearing the skin, as it regularly returns to the Item Shop to give players who don’t own it a chance to acquire it. However, Reddit user -Hen- has spotted a massive mistake with the Red Knight, one which users on the Fortnite joked made the game “unplayable.” The Red Knight features armor all over her body, including a large metal kneepad on her left leg. However, as pointed out by -Hen-, when the Red Knight kneels down, he places her left knee on the ground, not the right, meaning that the knee that has no protection is the one that takes the pressure. While some feel this is a glaring error, others believe this is intended, as the knee that is on the ground wouldn’t be the one that needs to be protected from bullets when crouched. The knee that is up at the time is the one that is an open target to enemies, so it makes sense that she would protect it. With some calling for the kneepad to be moved to other knee, and others stating that she should have them on both legs, it will be interesting to see if Epic Games make any changes to the skin before it makes its return to the Item Shop.

  • Fortnite fans petition to have kid’s artwork as a loading screen – Dexerto

Fortnite fans petition to have kid’s artwork as a loading screen RedditFortnite players are petitioning to have a child’s artwork made into an actual loading screen. Fans of the game have been rallying on social media to have Fortnite introduce new skins and content in the game. Since the beginning of Chapter 5, Fortnite has been cycling through older skins in the shop and often leaving those skins in the shop for days at a time. Loading screens are another form of new content that players would like to see. After seeing a child’s drawing on Reddit, it seems like the fans have found what they have been looking for. Child’s drawing sparks Fortnite loading screen idea A post to the official Fortnite Reddit was asking others if they should purchase a child’s artwork off Facebook Marketplace. The item for sale was a drawing on paper of a child’s version of the Chapter 2 loading screen for $25. The post itself has garnered over 4,000 upvotes and 250 comments. Most of which were in favor of the image being actually added to the game. “We must blow this up so it becomes a loading screen,” said one commenter. Others urged the original poster to purchase the artwork itself. Some even joked that they would do it themselves if the poster didn’t buy it. Fortnite isn’t known for adding fan-created content into the game, so the loading screen idea may not be plausible. However if they do decide to add it to Fortnite, we will be sure to keep you updated.

  • Fortnite fans set for disappointment regarding Marshmello skin – Dexerto

Fortnite fans set for disappointment regarding Marshmello skin Fortnite fans who were hoping to get their hands on the special Marshmello skin found in the game’s files may be set for a let down, if leaks turn out to be accurate. Dataminers sifting through Fortnite’s V7.30 update came across a number of new items hidden in the game’s files relating to popular EDM producer Marshmello. Within the update, players found an in-game event that will see the DJ perform an in-game concert at Pleasant Park, alongside a number of cosmetic items fashioned to resemble Marshmello – including a pickaxe and a skin. Unfortunately, it appears that fans of the game who hoped to rock the same white helmet as the DJ in Fortnite will not be able to, as leakers suggest the skin will not be made available for purchase. Fortnite news and leaks account FNBRHQ claim that the Marshmello skin will only available as an NPC, or Non-Player Character, and will not be available to buy from the in-game item store or as a reward for completing the Marshmello Festivus challenges. A Spray, Glider and Harvesting Tool that were found in the files will still be available to players who want to show their support for the electronic artist. Marshmello is set to take over Fortnite’s Pleasant Park on Saturday, February 2 with a huge concert taking over the football field in the middle of the location. A stage has already began to be constructed, with more pieces likely to be added over the next few days in the build up to the event which begins at 2PM ET (11AM PST, 7PM GMT). For everything you need to know about the upcoming Marshmello event , including the schedule, location, how to watch, and more, visit out our Fortnite x Marshmello concert info hub.

  • Fortnite fans obsessed with Gorillaz collab concept – Dexerto

Fortnite fans obsessed with Gorillaz collab concept Reddit: u/murdocthenobConcept crossovers are a Fortnite special, and the latest fan creation showcases the iconic virtual band, Gorillaz, in Epic Games’ title. Fans of Fortnite know the game’s community loves to cook up creations and concepts of dream collabs. As each season and in-game collab draws in bigger names, fan creations grow bolder and bolder. The past few weeks have showcased the phenomenon, as concepts for Despicable Me, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and more have flooded the game’s forums. Another concept has hit Reddit, this time showing off the virtual band Gorillaz in Fortnite. Gorillaz fan shares Fortnite x Gorillaz concept Chapter 5 Season 1 introduced a new musical mode, Festival, as a homage to Rockband and Guitar Hero. It’s also drawn in quite the crowd, as The Weeknd headlined the mode’s arrival, while Season 2 saw Lady Gaga join. Festival’s debut inspired a long-time Gorillaz fan to create a collab idea between both brands. “I’ve been hoping for a Gorillaz and Fortnite collaboration for years, and with the arrival of Fortnite Festival, it seems more plausible than ever,” they said in a post shared to the game’s subreddit. With the concept comes skins of various members of the band, Jam Tracks for Festival, and the usual Fortnite cosmetics like back blings, pick axes, and a Rocket Racing skin. Fan reactions were over the moon, as Gorillaz fans everywhere showed praise for this creator’s idea. “NEED!! Murdoc especially looks ready to go,” one player shared. Another reflected on the in-game music, which the Gorillaz have a wide hitlist: “God, the lobby music would be so good.” While overwhelmingly positive, a few of the comments reflected on the creator’s use of the most recent design of the virtual band. One reply said: “Can we not have the most recent phase? Everyone grew up with the older phases so that’s the best to represent the Gorillaz.” It most likely may be a long shot, but Epic Games is very well-known for keeping its eye on the community’s thoughts.

  • Fortnite fans mourn as Chapter 5 crushes Season OG’s simple charm – Dexerto

Fortnite fans mourn as Chapter 5 crushes Season OG’s simple charm Epic GamesFortnite fans are already mourning the loss of what many deemed the golden era of Fortnite: Season OG as the Chapter 5 update takes hold. Fortnite’s Season OG was a return to the game’s roots and a sentimental journey back to the original Fortnite map and gameplay. The game’s very first map from 2018 was resurrected, complete with all of the classic weapons, loot, and fan-favorite locations, such as Tilted Towers. But now, Season OG is done and dusted as Fortnite moves into Chapter 5, bringing with it sweeping changes across the board. And it seems that not every player is satisfied with the new update. Chapter 5 was introduced with a “Big Bang” live event, dramatically altering the game’s landscape. A new map was born, and new gameplay features and mechanics came with it as Fortnite has now implemented Weapon Mods and a new Train feature that marks a departure from the game’s simpler origins. The shift has already sparked discussions on social media, with the Fortnite community and fans clearly missing the simpler gameplay from Season OG. One popular tweet, which was liked more than 61,000 times, shares the Fortnite Chapter 5 trailer with the caption, “The day Fortnite realizes that simple is better is the day we will have world peace.” And on Reddit, players are outraged, writing, “I lost all the love and passion I had gotten back… All they had to do was keep the OG map.” Another player bluntly stated, “The OG season felt so good… now it’s [the game] disgusting again.” It’s clear that many players are already calling for the simpler, more balanced gameplay of Season OG. The complexity of some of these new features, for some, is overshadowing the game’s original charm that was once again on display. Fans can at least take comfort in the fact that Season OG has been confirmed to return in 2024 following the record-breaking success in which Fortnite recorded more than 100 million players in November.

  • Fortnite fans love new leaked Raccoon skin for “Over the Hedge” duo squad – Dexerto

Fortnite fans love new leaked Raccoon skin for “Over the Hedge” duo squad Epic Games / DreamWorks PicturesFortnite fans have gone wild over the new leaked Raccoon skin and claimed they would immediately use it to recreate an iconic “Over the Hedge” duo. Epic games have continued their trend of introducing more and more fantastic skins from iconic video games, movies, and pop culture brands. Most recently, on February 9, Epic Games released the Fortnite x TMNT Cowabunga Event which came with some awesome skins like the Turtles themselves, Shredder, and Super Shredder. There have been leaks that a Raccoon skin will allegedly be added to the game, and immediately players were keen to recreate one movie duo. Fortnite fans demand “Over the Hedge” Squad Fortnite players went wild over the idea of recreating an iconic Over The Hedge duo, which consisted of the turtle Verne and RJ the Raccoon: “Fortnite duos just got interesting,” said one player. Fans of Over the Hedge couldn’t contain their excitement for the opportunity to play as Verne and RJ, enough excitement for some veterans to even redownload the game. “Redownloading Fortnite just to buy the raccoon skin,” said one person. “BRO OVER THE HEDGE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES TOP TEN GOAT!!!” agreed another Fortnite fan. However, while others thought the duo was cool, they stated they were going to use the skin to recreate the Mordecai and Rigby duo from the popular “Regular Show”: “We can now do Mordecai and Rigby too,” said one person. Still, the Fortnite raccoon skin is only a leak currently, so players will have to contain their excitement until they get an opportunity to get their hands on the skin in the item shop.

  • Fortnite fans have come up with the perfect way to counter UFOs – Dexerto

Fortnite fans have come up with the perfect way to counter UFOs Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has introduced plenty of sci-fi content to the battle royale, but one of the most divisive is that of the new UFOs. Fortunately, players have come up with a perfect counter to these pesky airships. While the reception surrounding the Fortnite Chapter Season 7 update has been largely positive, many players have voiced their frustrations over the UFOs. Not only do these futuristic airships dish out huge amounts of damage, but they can also easily destroy structures, and safely reposition within seconds. This makes them particularly potent in the game’s final ring, where players have very little space to avoid the aerial bombardments. While the Fortnite’s Launch Pads help to alleviate this aerial advantage, there’s often little you can do when facing off against a full squad of them. Well, that’s unless this fan-made concept enters the game. Fortnite Anti-Aircraft concept To help combat the UFOs that are currently flying through the skies, one player has come up with an exciting concept that would help bring these alien aircrafts down to ground level. Posting on the official Fortnite Reddit page, DrewK26, showcased their Anti-Air Rocket item concept. “With the recent complaints about Saucers in the game, I thought it would be cool to make a concept that could counter it,” says DrewK26. “The Anti-Air Rocket is a singular rocket that is fired and homes onto a nearby entity, have that be a Saucer or somebody gliding onto you.” The item is similar to that of the game’s Bottle Rockets, which fire a stream of 45 rockets in the direction the item is thrown in. However, unlike the Bottle Rockets, the Anti-Air Rocket only targets players and vehicles that are airborne. Upon launch, the rocket will home in on the nearest airborne unit and explode upon impact. It’s certainly an interesting feature and one that would help counter the dominant UFOs that soar through the skies. Fortnite has had similar weapons appear in the past, with the Mounted Turret being a trap players could place to surprise nearby enemies. Whether Epic decides to release an anti-aircraft weapon remains to be seen, but for now, Fortnite players will need to get used to countering the UFOs with the new IO Tech weapons and conventional firearms.

  • Fortnite fans have finally found a way to open the hidden joke chest in Dusty Divot – Dexerto

Fortnite fans have finally found a way to open the hidden joke chest in Dusty Divot A clever Fortnite fan has finally found an ingenious way to open the hidden chest found under the ice cream truck in Dusty Divot. Back in May 2018, Fortnite fans could hear the special sound a treasure chest makes coming from underneath an ice cream truck that had crashed into Dusty Divot in the aftermath of Season 4’s meteor strike. The chest was part of a hilarious joke by Epic Games, as the ice cream truck had 100,000 health points, meaning it took players an extremely long time to destroy it before they could empty the chest. Fans thought Epic Games had given up on the troll when they changed to HP of the ice cream truck to 200 during Season 5, only to find that destroying the vehicle would break the chest that sat underneath it as well. However, it seems like there might finally be a way to get your hands on the contents of the joke chest, thanks to a discovery by Reddit user hanzo36. Hanzo36 first built a ramp to the south-west of Dusty Divot and placed a Launchpad at the top, beside a pit which has Shadow Stones littered around it. Shadow Stones allow players to move extremely quickly, and also gives the ability to phase through objects when activated. With the ramp in place facing towards the Divot, hanzo36 consumed one of the Shadow Stones, raced up the ramp and used the launchpad to quickly fly over the Divot, landing in front of the ice cream truck. He then phased through the vehicle, finding himself inside the truck, where he was able to open the chest and grab the loot that was inside it. For all of this hard work players don’t receive a special item or a high rarity chest for accomplishing this feat, instead finding a normal chest that could just be filled with common items. With the chest now able to be opened, it will be interesting to see if Epic Games decide to make another change to the ice cream truck in an attempt to continue the long-running gag.

  • Fortnite fans fear player count will plummet after Season OG is over – Dexerto

Fortnite fans fear player count will plummet after Season OG is over Epic GamesFortnite fans are worried that all the new and returning players who came back to the game for Season OG will leave once it ends. Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG kicked off on November 3, and players have been loving it. With popular streamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney also making long-awaited returns, the player count skyrocketed. Epic Games followed up the Season’s success by releasing all-new exciting skins, including the new collaboration with Eminem, and players have been discovering some cool skin features; like how only the Slim Shady skin can Lip Sync the words to the “Real Slim Shady” emote. But, despite all the praise and hype Fortnite has been getting after the release of Season OG, players are starting to worry that once it is over, every one who returned will leave again. Fortnite players fear for future player count One fan of Fortnite felt so worried that they shared a post with the community asking if anyone else had the same concerns: “Are people actually gonna leave after Fortnite OG?“ The response to the post was mixed, as some saw a drop in the player count as inevitable, while others felt that Epic Games had done enough with the season to keep them hooked on the game for the foreseeable future. One player was pleasantly surprised by the “literal doubling of the player count,” but couldn’t see how the game would maintain those numbers: “People come and go but we saw a literal doubling of the player count. Going down again is guaranteed. The hope is that many will stick around.” But others, who had quit the game a long time ago, felt that the core gameplay had improved enough to keep them around even after the arrival of a new season: “The game hooked me in, zero build is fun af and all the creative stuff too. Wasn’t even planning on getting the BP but I was like 4 levels away to completing it so fook might as well.” Other players have been excited about what Epic Games will add to the game next as they prepare for The Big Bang live event as the Battle Royale is set to blast into Chapter 5 in a huge way.

  • Fortnite fans demand Jonesy’s return as OG season soars in popularity – Dexerto

Fortnite fans demand Jonesy’s return as OG season soars in popularity Epic GamesAs the new Season OG generated record-breaking peak numbers, Fortnite players are demanding the return of the game’s iconic protagonist, Jonesy. Players are eager to see Jonesy return now that they are back on the Chapter 1 map, despite the fact that he has been absent from the narrative since Chapter 3. Here’s what they said. The importance of Jonesy in the Fortnite universe extends beyond his multiple appearances and diverse personas. He functions as a steady element in the perpetually progressing storyline of the game. Jonesy assumes an essential role in bridging the gaps between the various storylines and events in Fortnite, whether he is traversing through time, defending against alien invasions, or engaging in epic crossovers. However, the character has been absent from the lore since Chapter 3. Players demand Jonesy’s return to the narrative now that they have travelled back in time to the Chapter 1 island in Season OG. Fortnite players want Jonesy back in Season OG lore The official Fortnite X account posted a Fancam-style video clip of the game’s default character, Jonesy, in which he is referred to as “The guy from Fortnite.” In the video, fans may pinpoint various occasions from cinematic cut scenes where Jonesy played a vital role in the tale. In response, several viewers have called for the character to be brought back into the canon so that Season OG can once again evoke the mood of the original Chapter 1. One such fan said, “I really miss when Jonesy was the main face of the whole storyline, I hope he makes a big return”. Popular streamer Ali-A commented, “Bring back Jonesy and the Fortnite story pls”. Another user chimed in, “Fortnite dropping an official Jonesy Fancam was not on my 2023 bingo card that’s for sure”. A third added, “Best written character in fiction no one can deny it”. A fourth user replied, “Default character is now the main character”. With the game’s greatest popularity in player count and Twitch viewership, Season OG brings back the Chapter 1 map, weaponry, and more to fans of the game’s early days.

  • Fortnite fans discover amazing Jurassic Park reference on Pump Shotgun – Dexerto

Fortnite fans discover amazing Jurassic Park reference on Pump Shotgun Epic Games put in another clever Easter egg with the v6.31 patch to its popular game Fortnite. The wildly successful battle royale has been known to include the occasional nod to movies, music and viral trends since its release, and this time it’s showing appreciation once again to the mega-hit Jurassic Park. One observant Reddit user has managed to find the nod to the popular film on one of the new Pump Shotguns that was introduced with November 27’s update. The text “SMRT YNG LDY 110639” can be found above the trigger on the gun’s right side. The hint is toward a classic scene in Jurassic Park in which the game warden of the park, Robert Muldoon, is flanked by a velociraptor, followed by his line “clever girl.” The numbered text cements the theory, being Jurassic Park’s initial release of June 11, 1993, or 11/06/93. In the latest v6.31 update, Epic’s introducing a new Epic and Legendary model to the Fortnite pump-action shotgun which models itself after the classic SPAS-12. This is the gun used by park security in Jurassic Park but is widely shown in the film with the shoulder-stock tucked away over the gun. Previously, there’s been nods to this and other films. The “Rex Loading Screen” homage to Jurassic Park and the balloons tied to a sewage vent similar to an element in the horror-film “It” are just a couple examples of the studio’s inclusion of movies in their game. Fortnite has grown to immense popularity with younger audiences as well as older generations, and the game has incorporated an archive of memes and popular culture references that suit both crowds.

  • This ‘Custom Games’ menu concept for Fortnite would be an amazing addition to the game – Dexerto

This ‘Custom Games’ menu concept for Fortnite would be an amazing addition to the game Park0 / RedditA forward-thinking Fortnite fan has come up with an interesting new concept that would see a ‘custom games’ menu with numerous features added to the game. Submitted by Park0 on Reddit, the new concept would provide players with a separate menu that is completely devoted to custom games. Park0 shows that custom games could be saved and loaded at will, and even pinned to the top of a custom games server list if needed. In the “create match” section, players would be able to choose a variety of different rules, ranging from the number of players allowed in the game to the speed at which the storm closes in. Players would even be able to choose whether various items and weapons would be included in the game – meaning that competitive rulesets could be applied if players wanted to veto certain things. Park0 used Overwatch as his inspiration for the design, stating “think about Overwatch Custom Game, you can fully customize your match making fun gamemodes for everyone, while Blizzard also uses it for championships. If any important event is happening (Like as Summer Skirmish) it will be stickied to the top and you could spectate the entire match, if a friend is playing, his match will be on top of normal matches.” He even says that some modes could be loaded from a list of presets, like the Getaway LTM, or perhaps Close Encounters: Fully custom games have been at the top of the wish list for thousands of Fortnite fans for a number of months, and the introduction of Playground mode was the first step towards achieving that goal. However, Epic Games have showed no sign that they will be expanding upon Playground for the foreseeable future.

  • Fortnite fans can’t believe Epic Games VP’s favorite in-game items – Dexerto

Fortnite fans can’t believe Epic Games VP’s favorite in-game items Epic GamesEpic Games’ co-founder and Vice President Mark Rein has surprised some of the Fortnite community after revealing his three favorite items in-game – with the list including the very controversial Hand Cannon and planes. During the game’s lifespan, Fortnite fans have spoken out about weapons and items that they don’t particularly enjoy and may be viewed as potentially game-breaking – with the Hand Cannon being a target for plenty of criticism. However, during a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Rein upset a few folks with his comments about a couple of the weapons and items that may or may not annoy many players. Rein responded to a fan asking him if the game’s developers listened to the communities critiques on items, particularly the X-4 Stormwings, Hand Cannon and RPG’s, and if any of those would be nerfed or placed in the vault – removing it from the game entirely. In a now-deleted tweet, Rein replied: “Darn, those are three of my favorite things in the game right now!” He also added a purple devil emoji – make of that what you will. The tweet, which has been deleted, sparked plenty of reaction on Social Media, especially on the FortniteBR subreddit. Fans questioned whether Rein played the game his company developed because of his comments – missing what may have been a joky response from the Epic Games VP. It’s not just casual players who are upset with the controversial Hand Cannon, even professional players have spoken about the Desert Eagle-like weapon. On February 6, Team SoloMid’s Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno tweeted he would not be streaming Fortnite until the gun was removed. “No Fortnite until the Desert Eagle [Hand Cannon] is vaulted,” he posted. No FN till deagle is vaulted https://t.co/HgxXrMqjDb — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) February 6, 2019 The Hand Cannon has not yet been vaulted, and nobody is quite sure if it will be any time soon – as Epic make the decision on when to vault something. • Fortnite fans confused why Peter Griffin is so “jacked” compared to Goku – Dexerto

Fortnite fans confused why Peter Griffin is so “jacked” compared to Goku DexertoFortnite fans are calling for an update to the Goku after discovering that Peter Griffin’s skin has more muscles. Epic Games has gone out of its way to bring more collaborations to Fortnite, and the latest season is a perfect example. In Chapter 5, Fortnite revealed four new collaborations with Family Guy, Metal Gear Solid, The Weeknd, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Fortnite has also seen its fair share of anime collaborations with Attack on Titan, Jujitsu Kaisen, Naruto, and Dragon Ball. The latter has been kitted out with large muscles to represent the characters from the show. However, the latest battle pass introduced ‘buff’ Peter Griffin, a diversion from how he is pictured in Family Guy. Now, fans have noticed the differing muscle sizes between Peter Griffin and Goku. Peter Griffin needs to share his gym routine with Goku A Reddit thread on the official Fortnite page highlighted the difference between Goku and Peter Griffin regarding being ‘jacked.’ Something that fans think Fortnite dropped the ball on, especially considering the quality of the other Dragon Ball skins. “It’s so wild to me cause Beerus, Goku Black, Cell, Frieza, and Bulma all look good,” said the poster. “Maybe the heads are a little big, but they all actually look like stylized versions of the characters, and then Goku looks like… that.” The other Dragon Ball skins are nowhere close to being perfect in the eyes of the fanbase. Multiple commenters under the post pointed out the ‘big heads’ on most of the characters. Players also said that Fortnite did well on some of the other skins, with hopes that updates would be coming to those who missed the mark. “That’s why I bought Frieza and Cell,” said one commenter. “While Frieza is huge, especially his head, both character models are faithful to their anime designs. I honestly don’t know how they could mess Goku up like that.” Fortnite has announced any plans to update the Goku skin or the other Dragon Ball skins that have been discussed in the community. So, for now, Peter Griffin will remain the ‘strongest’ character in the game.

  • Fortnite Fans Believe You’ll Be Able to Select Default Skins Soon – Dexerto

Currently, players new to the game play as the various default skins, but once the option to pick and chose between each one is not available. However, one fan of the game at PAX West snapped a picture that showed the eight default skins at the bottom of the skin selection screen. account which had every skin unlocked didn’t have the eight default skins.Players using the default skin are generally new players to the game, who are inexperienced and thought to be not particularly good. Recently, it seems like players may be using default skins as a way to fool players – appearing to be a new player, but actually being an experienced player on a new account. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Epic Games were to bring the default skins back as an option, and would be extremely popular amongst fans, as default skin ‘Jonesy’ has amassed a cult following amongst Fortnite fans who love the blonde haired character. Fortnite is in a constant state of update, and Epic regularly vault items in an attempt to freshen the game up. They are also are always open to bringing weapons back, as shown with the Guided Missile Launcher. Epic Games are yet to comment on the possibility of the default skins making a return, but keep your eyes peeled to the latest updates to see if it becomes a reality.

Fortnite fans call for ‘seizure bug’ to be fixed by Epic Games Epic GamesSome Fortnite players have been experiencing what they are calling a ‘seizure bug’ on the battle royale game, and believe that developer Epic Games need to do something about it. The bug, which causes players to uncontrollably shake while playing the game, was highlighted by user CalvinIsNewb in a video post to the FortniteBR subreddit. The clip shows FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney drop at Tilted Towers and start to build on top of one of the buildings using brick. When he starts to move around on top of the structure he has built, the shaking begins and aiming becomes very difficult to control. “My screen is fucking shaking. Some players have speculated that this glitch can be caused by landing on the iced over lake, which replaced a popular location at the start of Season 7. “I almost always get this after going on that frozen area where Greasy used to be”, tedere93 said. “I think you’re right. From my experience it has something to do with building while sliding,” cupitr posted. “You can fix it by just sliding on the ice again.”

Whether or not that comes to reality remains to be seen but the community definitely looks ready to go to war to protect these dinos.

Fortnite: Fan sends hilarious in-game message to Epic about Boom Boxes Fortnite has become one of the most popular games in the world, and one of the reasons for this is the constant inclusion of new items that help to keep the game fresh. While a lot of these items are welcomed to the game, occasionally Fortnite’s developer Epic Games does add something that fans dislike, with the Boom Box becoming the latest addition to have the game’s community up in arms. The Boom Box was added in Fortnite’s second V7.10 Content Update on Sunday, December 30, and can be thrown at player-built structures, with pulses of sound blaring out of the Boom Box and destroying any buildings in its range. Fans have been crying out for changes to the Boom Box since it was released to the game, stating that it was far too powerful and ruined the building aspect of Fortnite, as you were no longer rewarded for good building skills if your opponent had a Boom Box. While many have used social media to campaign for the removal of the Boom Box, /u/menardo3 has used the game itself to call for it to be vaulted, posting a hilarious clip on the /r/FortniteBR subreddit. In the video, a player can be seen standing on a platform in front of a huge wall made out of wood. Menardo3 then shoots out a segment of the platform in front of him, causing the wall in front of him to crumble, revealing a huge flashing sign that reads “Vault Boom Boxes.” Epic Games have confirmed that the Boom Box will receive a balancing update in the third V7.10 Content Update, as the developers attempt to appease fans who are unhappy with the item. The X-4 Stormwing and Dynamite will also be tweaked, while Dual Pistols make their return in the place of the Six Shooter.

  • Fortnite fan submitted a Legendary Port-a-Fort concept moments before the Port-a-Fortress was announced – Dexerto

Fortnite fan submitted a Legendary Port-a-Fort concept moments before the Port-a-Fortress was announced FeralidragonIn a strange example of pure coincidence, a Fortnite community member shared a concept for a ‘Legendary’ variant of the Port-a-Fort just moments before Epic Games announced the ‘Port-a-Fortress’. Reddit user Feralidragon shared a two minute video on the FortniteBR subreddit with the title “Legendary Port-a-Fort”. The video showed a large metal fortress that the player had created in Playground mode that he believed would be a great upgrade to the standard Port-a-Fort, a grenade-like item that turns into a fort when thrown. However, just 20 minutes after his submission, Epic Games announced an all-new Port-a-Fortress which will be, well… a legendary version of the Port-a-Fort. Commenting on the incredibly unlikely timing, Feralidragon said “I am actually awestruck that a Port-A-Fortress was announced right after I posted this, I had absolutely no idea, it’s really a coincidence, believe me or not, and on top of it the name given is the same one I first thought for this thing to boot.” The player went on to say “This fort was actually something I planned to do since Playground was introduced, but only yesterday I started to do it and edit the video to post today. The fact that they actually made one, totally blows my mind.” The Port-a-Fortress will allow players to “take defense to new heights” and is expected to go live in the next update which will presumably be released on Tuesday, September 18. The original Port-a-Fort has not been proven to be a particularly popular item with high level Fortnite players due to how easy it is to destroy, but the new Legendary version of it could be significantly stronger.

  • Fortnite fan recreates Modern Warfare 2’s Shipment in first-person and it’s epic – Dexerto

Fortnite fan recreates Modern Warfare 2’s Shipment in first-person and it’s epic Activision / Epic GamesA dedicated Fortnite fan has shared their recreation of the Modern Warfare 2 version of Call of Duty’s infamous Shipment multiplayer map – and it’s an absolutely beautiful thing. Fortnite’s recently leaked first-person mode promises one of the biggest shake-ups Epic’s building battle royale has ever received. Third-person perspectives have been integral to the game since it exploded in popularity way back in 2017. Now, an epic crossover with Call of Duty has given us an idea of just how good a first-person Fortnite could look. MW2 Shipment recreated in Fortnite first-person mode Shared to the MW2 subreddit on February 3, player ‘Avesta49’ explained that they created Shipment in Fortnite Creative before adopting the newly leaked first-person mode. The result is a jaw-dropping combination of an FPS perspective with Fortnite’s well-known cartoon graphics. The specific Shipment version we received with Modern Warfare 2 – complete with a dark and rainy aesthetic – is also perfectly reimagined in Fortnite’s engine. OP also explained that they “tried giving it a more gritty vibe,” explaining why the dark and miserable atmosphere was rendered so accurately. It’s up there with the best gaming crossover creations we’ve seen in a long time, and while Shipment is almost certain to never make an official appearance in Fortnite, it’s nice to dream. Back in December, one dedicated Warzone fan claimed they missed Verdansk so much it had catalyzed them recreating it in Minecraft. The things people do for the video games they love.

  • Fortnite fan mortified as Guff skin Halloween costume “looks like a d**k” – Dexerto

Fortnite fan mortified as Guff skin Halloween costume “looks like a d**k” Kiminne / Epic GamesA Fortnite player was humiliated when they realised their Halloween costume based on the Guff skin in the game “looked like a d**k.” Since then, they have shared a video of the ensemble in its entirety, and the Fortnite community finds it to be extremely amusing. Here is what they said. Fortnite includes a wide variety of humorous skins that players may purchase and use for pranks before jumping off the Battle Bus and aiming for the game’s ultimate goal, the Victory Royale. Peely, Skull Trooper, Fishstick, and other legendary skins have amassed a massive fan base throughout the years. The Guff outfit is one of the more prominent skins in Fortnite, and it’s a fairly unique spin on Skye’s Ollie glider. A fan of the character wanted to cosplay as the character for Halloween, but their attempt was met with less than stellar results. As soon as they donned the costume, they were mortified as their cosplay resembled “a d**k” rather than the actual character from the game. They then shared a viral video with the Fortnite community, who chuckled at the humor and expressed their opinions. Fortnite fan traumatized after Guff skin costume trial for Halloween A Tiktok user named Kiminne6913 shared a video of a Fortnite fan wearing an inflated costume inspired by the Guff skin and yelling about how horrible it appears, comparing it to “a d**k”. The fan in the video can be seen donning the costume and being embarrassed because it “looked like s**t” and fell short of their expectations. While other members in the video can be seen making fun at their costume, the fan expresses their displeasure by yelling at them. Soon enough the Fortnite player community joined in the conversation in the comments, with one saying, “This kid spazzing out in the costume makes it funnier. Look at his gestures. I lost it when he starts jumping in anger.” Another one chimed in, “Looking like a cartoon p***s lol”. A third added, “I’m just thankful for it not being a skibidi toilet”. The gaming community is becoming quite creative with their ideas to dress up as their favourite video game characters in preparation for Halloween, which is coming up very soon.

  • Fortnite fan offered a job in FaZe Clan for incredible Fortnite artwork – Dexerto

Fortnite fan offered a job in FaZe Clan for incredible Fortnite artwork A very creative Fortnite fan has soared to popularity on Twitter and Reddit after sharing some of their incredible creations using Fortnite character models, even attracting the attention of FaZe Clan. The artwork was first shared to the official Fortnite sub Reddit by u/t-visADL, where it garnered significant attention, before being shared to Twitter. The first piece to gain spread and spark interest was this brilliant image of ‘Jonesy’, characterized as the “Lord of the no skins”. Best ways to use the new Chiller trap in Fortnite Battle RoyaleIn fact, the creator, Luke Thompson created the account because Banks had been trying to find him and get in touch, and once he did, offered him a job. Luke has since made more of his impressive works, starting with this incredible rendition of the classic photo of construction workers in New York, building the Empire State. According to Thompson’s Twitter bio, he is already doing some thumbnail work for Tfue, and Epic may be interested in having him design loading screens or other designs for promotional material. Other users have since tried to replicate Thompson’s work, but there is definitely a higher quality to his pieces than the inspired pieces.

  • Fortnite: Fan-made video perfectly sums up everything wrong with the Boom Box – Dexerto

Fortnite: Fan-made video perfectly sums up everything wrong with the Boom Box The Boom Box is the latest item added to Fortnite that has the community up in arms and calling for either widespread changes or nerfs and this video perfectly demonstrates the community’s frustrations. Boom Boxes were introduced to Fortnite on December 30, which was coincidentally the same day as the $100,000 WSOE tournament. Almost immediately upon release, the community went to a frenzy and called for the seemingly overpowered item to be taken out of the game. Despite the major outcry from large portions of the community, however, the item still remains in the game without changes of any kind. This has led one Reddit user, ‘DHAferda,’ to put together a video that demonstrates just how frustrated the community is with the item. Starting off, the video makes a direct comparison to the vaulted Infinity Blade, which was the last item Epic Games had to Vault after much negative feedback from the community. The video then goes on to show various clips of pro players, including HighDistortion, Myth, and SypherPK, expressing their many frustrations with the item. The main sticking point with the item seems to be that it lowers the skill gap by limiting the ability for players to freely build during engagements since the Boom Box completely destroys all builds immediately. With Epic Games employees having been on holiday through the start of the new year, no changes have been made just yet. With the third and final v7.10 update set to go live on Tuesday, January 8, players will no doubt be on the lookout for any changes to the powerful item.

  • Fortnite fan makes a discovery about the snow on the map and it looks like more changes are coming – Dexerto

Fortnite fan makes a discovery about the snow on the map and it looks like more changes are coming Epic GamesFortnite fans have discovered that the snow from the south-west corner of the map is slowly but surely spreading to other areas. The snow biome was added to the map with the start of Fortnite Season 7 and has already undergone a number of changes. Polar Peak has shown signs of melting, revealing a castle underneath. That change is still ongoing. However, the wintry weather is no longer confined solely to the south-west corner of the map. In a post to the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit, user Burning_Tooth showcased the gradual progress of the snow spreading outside of the Iceberg part of the map that was added with Season 7. Whilst some fans commented on Burning_Tooth’s post, stating that they could not seen the changes, a quick zoom-in and a keen eye can spot the differences. Snow has spread up and around Snobby Shores, whilst it has also continued to spread around the Tilted Towers part of the map. A data mined leak from December 16 pointed to an image file that showed the whole Battle Royale map covered in Snow. However, there was no indication whether or not that it would happen in one fell swoop or over time. Whilst the snow currently appears to be spreading at a very slow rate, some fans have pointed to the fact that it’s quite possible that its progress may link to the current 14 days of Fortnite campaign. The holiday addition to the game by Epic Games is unlocking a number of Limited Time Modes – some old and some new – along with new challenges and rewards for fans to utilise during the holiday season.

  • Fortnite fan creates LTM concept that would change how the game is played in a major way – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates LTM concept that would change how the game is played in a major way Epic GamesFortnite has given its players a unique approach to battle royales with its building system, but the developers always spice up the game with Limited Time Modes (LTM) and a new concept would take the game to mythical heights. LTMs have proven to be a haven for players that are interested in experiencing their favorite game with insane changes that completely revamps the Fortnite formula, so bringing Role-Playing elements to the shooter might be a welcomed change for many. Reddit user Zach-317 suggested incorporating “Fortnite Myth Royale,” a mode that would take classes typically seen in an RPG that would grant players different abilities based on various pickups in the mode. The user proposed different items that upon pickup would unlock different class abilities based on the item acquired. Zach likened the idea to the Infinity Blade’s buff effect on pickup, however the items would be far more attainable in the proposed mode than the vaulted mythical weapon. The Reddit user refers to the transforming Legendary items as “cloaks.” Game mode idea: Myth Royale- You can obtain legendary items called “cloaks”, that let you “transform” like the infinity blade. These “cloaks could include – mage (can shoot orbs), Druid (turns into animals), Hunter (gets bow and arrow), or maybe warrior (sword and shield). Tell me your opinions from r/FortNiteBR Proposed classes upon picking up a cloak include a mage that shoots orbs, a druid that would have animal transforming abilities, a hunter who would have a bow and arrow, and a warrior class who would wield a sword and shield. Commenters immediately linked the idea to a different battle royale title, Realm Royale, and the similarities are striking. However, with added care to balancing and class abilities along with Fortnite’s signature building elements, the mode could fit in nicely with the archive of insane LTMs currently in the game.

  • Fortnite fan creates hilarious ‘Bare-Fisted Brawler’ skin concept art – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates hilarious ‘Bare-Fisted Brawler’ skin concept art Epic GamesOne of the latest fan-made Fortnite skin concepts is a hilarious bare-knuckle boxing idea that would be perfect for players who like to pick fights on the island. Fortnite fans love creating their own concepts for skins and items they would like to see in the game; sometimes, Epic will even take inspiration from these concepts and put them into Fortnite itself. One recent example is the “Tender Defender” skin, which was put into the game by Epic after it was designed by an 8-year-old fan and posted to Reddit by his father. The “Bare-Fisted Brawler” concept was created and posted to /r/FortniteBR by user sushifunk21, who also included ideas for a unique glider, pickaxe and back bling to go along with the skin. The skin itself resembles one of those large moustached men you often see squared up in black and white photographs, who chose to fight other large men without any protective equipment, hence the name ‘bare-knuckle boxing’. The glider is a Union Jack, the flag of the United Kingdom, because that’s where bare-knuckle boxing originated, at least according to Wikipedia. The pickaxe resembles an old boxing round bell, that would hopefully ding as it gathers resources or is used against other players. A massive, golden Victory Royale trophy is the back bling, which would make a cool reward for players after they get their first win. • Fortnite fan creates incredibly realistic trailer for Season 7 [UPDATE] – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates incredibly realistic trailer for Season 7 [UPDATE] UPDATE – December 2, 2018 Epic Games Community Coordinator Sean Hamilton has confirmed that this “leaked” trailer is indeed a fake. The video you’re referring to is indeed fan made and not an official trailer. — Sean Hamilton (@MrPopoTFS) December 2, 2018 Fortnite fans who are gearing up for the beginning of Season 7 are searching for any leaks of what is to come – regularly falling for fake videos and screenshots. As the hype for Fortnite Season 7 continues to build up, so do the fake leaks of the skins, loading screens and trailers for what is about to come. In a video posted to Reddit, the supposed trailer shows characters on the island before switching to showing a portal being summoned in the sky by two-Wizard like players. Other players around them jump in shock, looking skywards to see what just might come out of these portals. However, their shock turns into surprise as snow begins to fall. The addition of snow is easy as the new season has been built around the winter theme – with the battle pass ending in December and the start of the Winter Royale Tournament. While the video looks real enough, there’s much speculation that it’s actually just a well-done fake. There is likely to be some sort of snow storm that hits the current map in Season 7. However, fans who have bought into this particular leak will be disappointed to know that Epic Games don’t usually include these trailers in the game until the day of the update’s release. Further, this ‘leak’ does not contain the Iceberg that has been slowly inching inland towards the Fortnite map. Eagle-eyed fans who have been monitoring the Iceberg’s progress noted that a castle structure could be seen peering out. Lights have now switched on, showing that the building is occupied, which has only added to the excitement. The current Battle Pass runs out on December 5, which means the newest season won’t be too far behind.

  • Fortnite fan creates ‘Fancy Favelas’ inspired by classic Modern Warfare 2 map – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates ‘Fancy Favelas’ inspired by classic Modern Warfare 2 map Jacomet, Reddit / Call of Duty WikiaFortnite players have been trying to recreate a number of different classic Call of Duty maps on the Epic Games title since the arrival of Creative mode, the latest a Favela inspired design. Whether or not it looks like the original map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is up for discussion, but it does look to be the inspiration for this ‘Fancy Favelas’ fan build. Stacking building upon building like the real favelas of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, its creator Stab_Mixer uploaded their design to YouTube in order to give other Fortnite players a taste of what it would be like to enter a favela in battle royale. Those who have watched the video have been posting further design suggestions to help bring this design closer to a real favela, too, with one YouTube user david 15 requesting for more red or orange bricks to be added in the future. This isn’t the only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map to be remade using Fortnite’s Creative mode, with the game’s most popular 1v1 sniper map Rust being brought to the game after Team Creativity’s ‘Risky Rust’ design was revealed in December and surged in popularity. Rust, another Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map brought to Fortnite by players using Creative mode. It’s not just MW2 maps being created in Fortnite, either, as a number of different designs have been pulling on the heartstrings of gamers. Some famous destinations from Call of Duty, The Walking Dead and even Pokémon have been built so far, and we’re sure that there will be many more inspired designs posted by the game’s community in the coming months – just like ‘Fancy Favelas’.

  • Fortnite fan creates amazing Nintendo crossover concept skin – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates amazing Nintendo crossover concept skin Epic Games/NintendoFortnite fans have been a treasure trove of creative concepts from covering music themes in intriguing ways to creating incredible mashups for skins, weapons and emotes. A concept skin from Reddit user ‘RevolutionDoctor’ is no different and highlights a glaring omission from the list of collaborators that would fit right into the Fortnite landscape. Nintendo has a backlog of characters ranging from silly to downright awesome and RevolutionDoctor’s mockup skin is a taste of easy buy-ins Epic Games and Nintendo can create. The Reddit creative took the Oblivion skin and gave it a Samus Aran color-scheme with a few added changes to the base layer. The result is a seamless concept skin that would fit perfectly into the Fortnite landscape. Even equipped with an arm cannon, the mockup incorporates a really great use of color to pay homage to the intergalactic bounty hunter. Read more: Fortnite: The second Season 7 teaser image has been revealed and it seems to hint at new methods of transport – With the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate looming on the horizon, it would make sense for Nintendo to use Fortnite as a lucrative marketing campaign as other big entities such as the NFL, Disney, and subsidiary Marvel have done in the past. Further, console exclusive skins could even be on the menu to see this dream come true. Nintendo and Rocket League got Mario, Luigi and Samus’s gunship themed battle cars done when it made its transition to the Nintendo Switch, while Fortnite players on PlayStation have gotten multiple exclusive cosmetic items, as well. While there are no hints from either company, RevolutionDoctor’s concept skin is going to have to hold us over until anything can come out of the idea.

  • Fortnite fan creates amazing Star Wars skin concept – Dexerto

Fortnite fan creates amazing Star Wars skin concept Lucasfilm/Epic GamesFortnite fans love making original skin concepts, and now one fan has found an awesome Obi-Wan Kenobi skin concept, complete with lightsaber pickaxe. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a central character in both the original and prequel Star Wars trilogies. He brings Anakin, who will later become Darth Vader, into the Jedi order and later on hooks Luke Skywalker up with his first lightsaber. The skin concept is based on Actor Ewan McGregor’s young Obi-Wan, who was the main character in the prequel trilogy, and it seems like it would fit right into the eclectic world of Fortnite. https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/acmvv9/credit_to_unoblebatterfly_for_the_awesome_skin/ The concept was created by user Noblebatterfly and posted to /r/FortNiteBR, and it features a Fortnite-esque Obi-Wan in his classic brown Jedi robes. For a pickaxe, Nobebatterfly designed what appears to be a lightsaber in the style Darth Maul’s double model fashioned into a gathering tool. Darth Maul was the Sith Lord who killed Obi-Wan’s master Qui-Gon Jinn in the Phantom Menace, so Obi might have some hangups about using a weapon that looks so similar. This concept has a very long way to go before it could be realized since the rights to Star Wars are now owned by the Walt Disney Corporation, and they aren’t afraid to sue anyone and everyone they feel are using their intellectual properties without permission. Epic made a lot of money in 2018, but nowhere near enough to go up against a massive company like Disney. But, Fortnite did do an unexpected Avengers crossover last year that proved to be hugely popular. So, with a new Star Wars movie coming out at the end of 2019, a Star Wars x Fortnite crossover event isn’t completely impossible to imagine.

  • Fortnite fan claims new ‘Grimbles’ skin is inspired by their concept – Dexerto

Fortnite fan claims new ‘Grimbles’ skin is inspired by their concept Screenshot from ascarycl0wnEpic Games added a selection of new content to the Fortnite Item Shop on December 22, which included the Grimbles Outfit, and one fan thinks it was inspired by their own concept. The new character, which has a festive gnome design, is labelled as a Rare Outfit and is available on the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks. However, when one Reddit user realized how Grimbles looked in the game, they posted a reminder on the game’s subreddit of a concept that they had posted over 8 months ago – called ‘Woodland Warriors’ – and the two do look very similar. If you look at the concept outfit on the left (below), or Klaus as his creator yg99 named it, you can see a lot of similarities between Grimbles facial features and even the attire. While some fans might be a bit annoyed by Epic adding a skin which is very similar to there’s without credit, the Reddit user simply said they were “mind blown” when they saw it had been added to the game’s store. While the creator of the ‘Woodland Warriors’ concept thinks that their design has been added to the game, with a few tweaks, other Reddit users suggested that it might not be the case. “Not only is that a stereotypical gnome look, but the pointy hat and pointy beard were already established as the chosen look if a gnome skin were to come,” TeaTimeKoshii said. The concept from yg99 does look distinctly similar to the gnomes which already feature in Fortnite, they simply just translated that into a skin design. Whether or not Epic has taken any inspiration from the Woodland Warriors concept is unknown at this time.

  • Fortnite: New weapon wrap fan-concept highlight Brite and Dark sides of the SCAR – Dexerto

Fortnite: New weapon wrap fan-concept highlight Brite and Dark sides of the SCAR The collective imagination of Fortnite fans have been running rampant as weapon wraps have opened the floodgates to concept skins from the creative legion of supporters, with every new idea better than the last. Fortnite introduced weapon wraps at the start of Season 7 on December 6, and have since been a creative outlet for fans to express what concepts they think Epic Games should pursue like they have for many skin ideas in the past. Reddit user brettwill1025 made intricate concepts for a SCAR weapon wrap that would complete the popular Brite Bomber and Dark Bomber skin sets. The two wraps rightfully lend themselves to their namesakes by, just like their respective character skins, emanating an aura of playful cheer and ominous brooding. The Brite Bomber wrap features a pink body covered with a heart and stars, with a winged llama-unicorn (llamicorn?) flying across a rainbow. The Dark Bomber variant, on the other hand, has a purple and deep dark blue body. After a repeated constructive critique from the Reddit community, brettwill1025 adorned the gun with a devilish lamma-unicorn who breathes fire. The gun also features a keychain with a hanging mini-Kevin, the name given by the community to the mysterious Cube from Seasons 5 and 6. The entire concept is one of the cleanest to come out of the community, not only because of the quality of the appearance, but because of the personality that ooze out of the mock-ups. Read more: Fortnite: Epic Games announce nerf to controversial Infinity Blade in upcoming update The fans have been on a nonstop creative buzz since the addition of weapon wraps and there’s little doubt that more fascinating ideas will be made.

  • Fortnite fan claims Chapter 4 Battle Pass rewards are a huge “glow-up” from past seasons – Dexerto

Fortnite fan claims Chapter 4 Battle Pass rewards are a huge “glow-up” from past seasons Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 4 has arrived and the new Battle Pass is already a smash hit. So much so that fans are claiming this could be the biggest “glow-up” in the game’s history. Fortnite dropped a ton of new content into the game with Chapter 4. From a new map to an updated look thanks to Unreal Engine 5, there are a lot of goodies for players to check out when they load into the game for the first time after the update. While the Shockwave Hammer is stealing much of the early spotlight overall, the new Battle Pass hasn’t completely escaped attention, and fans are over the moon about the new interface and all of the available rewards this time around. Fortnite fans praise Chapter 4 Battle pass design and rewards The big points of praise for this Chapter have been the focus on original creations and cosmetics over the collaborations that have filled the most recent passes. While there are some crossovers this time around, they clear a quality-over-quantity bar for many of the most vocal fans so far. “We finally have a story-related Tier 100 (from the looks of things it’s a Geno Snapshot) with a cool armor style similar to the old Chapter 1 Tier 100s,” one Fortnite player said. “There are actual guy skins instead of males being animals or creatures and the female skins aren’t just shirts and jean shorts…Best battle pass since C2S7.” Another Fortnite played chimed in that it’s their “favorite Battle Pass ever” primarily thanks to the Doom Slayer skin and that the rest of the pass is a “10/10” overall. The skins aren’t the only draw either. The other cosmetics are getting rave reviews as well. “What’s the best part for me is that not only the skins are amazing but so are their accessories,” a passionate fan said. It’s always a pleasant boost to Fortnite when the Battle Pass delivers something fresh and Chapter 4 looks to be off to a hot start across the board.

  • Fortnite & Family Guy crossover still in the works according to new leaks – Dexerto

Fortnite & Family Guy crossover still in the works according to new leaks Walt Disney Co.According to newly leaked information, Epic Games is still developing content for a Fortnite and Family Guy crossover. Hints at a Family Guy collaboration began making the rounds in February 2021 when a sprite sheet featuring a host of codenames hit the web. The codename “FrenchFry” appeared in the listing, leading many to believe it constituted a reference to a Family Guy skin. In April 2022, an Unreal Engine presentation accidentally teased several pieces of future Fortnite content. During the video, file names briefly flashed on a computer screen, some alluding to characters that have since landed in Fortnite – Darth Vader, Doom Slayer, and Indiana Jones. Family Guy counted among the list of names, as well. Yet another leak points to a Fortnite x Family collaboration Dataminers GMatrixGames and FNAssist revealed that “as of a few updates ago,” Epic has continued its efforts on the “FrenchFry” cosmetics. Interestingly, these specific cosmetics now have a new ID, the leakers claimed – “CID_TBD_Athena_Commando_M_FrenchFry.” While the updated ID tag offers nothing in the way of concrete details, FNAssist thinks its points to a male character, perhaps even the main protagonist, Peter Griffin. At the time of writing, Epic Games has yet to so much as hint at the long-rumored Family Guy and Fortnite collaboration. The evidence continues to pile up, though. Still, it’s anyone’s guess as to when players can expect such content to finally go live. This merely serves as one of the crossover rumors making the rounds. According to a recent report, Epic is also in the process of working with The Kid Laroi for a concert collab. Allegedly, Dead Space content may soon hit Fortnite Island as well.

  • Fortnite fan beautifully recreates iconic Spider-Man scene using Creative mode – Dexerto

Fortnite fan beautifully recreates iconic Spider-Man scene using Creative mode Sony Pictures AnimationReddit is a perfect place to look for some amazing concepts and artwork related to Fortnite Battle Royale, and one new creation has certainly caught the attention of many users. ‘ItsHarrisonW‘ used in the in-game Creative mode to recreate one of the more memorable scenes from the newly released film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” The first animated feature film in the Spider-Man franchise, Into the Spider-Verse is set in a multiverse where there are several characters that share the same abilities, all of whom ultimately unite in one universe to defeat evil. The scene that the Reddit user recreated was of Miles Morales, the main character of the film, leaping off of a tall skyscraper and putting his new abilities as Spider-Man to the test. That scene was so iconic that screenshots of it were used in the main marketing campaign for the film in the days and weeks leading up to its release. Since the Reddit user obviously did not have a Spider-Man outfit skin to use for the scene, he went with the next closest thing – the bare and basic version of the Omega skin. Other than that, the Fortnite version of the scene came out very similar to that of the film, especially since the original music that played in the movie was also used for this project. The creator did an amazing job at capturing the same intense camera angles that were used in the film, which play a major role in why the scene is regarded so memorably. With this project having such successful results, it really shows how creative some of the Fortnite player-base can really be, and why Epic Games took the giant leap of faith in adding such a thorough and complex Creative mode to the game. For those who do not have the imaginative capabilities to create such wonderful works of art, they can at least benefit by reaping the entertainment value that results from viewing others’ wonderful creations.

Trap Ball is a tournament style challenge which features players from all five Clubs sorted into a 256 person single elimination bracket. • Fortnite Fall Guys obstacle course: Where to find & how to play – Dexerto

Fortnite Fall Guys obstacle course: Where to find & how to play Epic Games/DexertoFall Guys has flown in on the Fortnite island and here’s where you can find and complete the obstacle course on the Battle Royale map. The newest Fortnite collab has landed and it’s with the popular party game Fall Guys. The collab comes in the form of an in-game Battle Royale limited-time event and adds UEFN support for creators to make Fall Guys maps of their own. However, an obstacle course has also landed on the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Royale map that players can complete for quests and free rewards. Although it’s not a separate game mode, players will be able to play the course in the Zero Build and Battle Royale lobbies. While the course only spawns at one point on the map, here’s exactly where you can find it and how to complete the Fall Guys obstacle course. Fall Guys obstacle course and Bean Idol locations in Fortnite You can find the newly added Fall Guys obstacle course floating in the sky directly above Classy Courts POI. However, to get to the course, you’ll need to interact with one of the six Golden Bean Idols placed around the POI. Once you interact with the idol, it’ll teleport you on the obstacle course and convert your skin into a Fall Guys bean. Currently only Brite Bomber, Fishstick, and Jonesy the Secondst have their own Fall Guys skin styles where players will be able to see the exact cosmetic clothing on their beans. However, if you have any other skin, it’ll be converted into a default Fall Guys bean. It’s worth knowing that while you can interact with the Bean Idol, you won’t be able to join if many players are already inside the obstacle course. When this happens, you can just find a car and drive to a different Bean Idol location. Alternatively, there’s a way to get inside the obstacle course without having to interact with the Bean Idol. After falling from the Battle Bus, you can simply head straight toward the Fall Guys obstacle course that floats on the map. As soon as you are near enough to the course, you will be instantly teleported to it as a bean. This method will not only let you get to the course safely, as there are usually a lot of players near the Bean Idols at the start of the match, but should help you get a headstart in completing the challenges faster before you can move on to the actual Battle Royale. How to complete the Fall Guys obstacle course in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 To complete the Fall Guys obstacle course, you’ll need to jump, dive, and mantle across strategically placed platforms in front of you, all within a time limit of 120 seconds. You need to perform all the above-mentioned actions, including performing an emote to complete the Where We Fallin’ Quests. Here’s how you can perform these actions: You have three attempts to set a time per Battle Royale match, but you can only complete the course once per match. If you complete the course within the 120-second time limit, you’ll be awarded gameplay loot to help you with the rest of the match: Complete the course in less than 50 seconds for “Gold Tier” loot. (Legendary Weapons) – Complete the course between 50 and 80 seconds for “Silver Tier” loot. (Epic Weapons) – Complete the course between 80 and 120 seconds for “Bronze Tier” loot. (Rare or Uncommon Weapons) – This means that, as soon as you complete the course, you’ll be rifted into the sky and a penguin container will float around you. Once you land, it’ll automatically break and grant you the loot based on your tier medal and the time you completed the course. Also, note that the course will be unavailable to access or complete if it falls inside the Storm. So, make sure to land near the idol as soon as you drop out of the Battle Bus to complete the course. Once, you’ve pretty much finished all the quests, you can enjoy the free That’s all you need to know about the Fall Guys obstacle course in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Make sure to head over to our full patch notes and all the unvaulted weapons to get more info about the latest update.

  • Fortnite: FaZe Tfue somehow gets shot through a wall and ramp, and he isn’t happy about it – Dexerto

Fortnite: FaZe Tfue somehow gets shot through a wall and ramp, and he isn’t happy about it Professional Fortnite player and FaZe Clan member Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney couldn’t believe the manner in which he died after getting shot through a ramp and a wall. Tfue was playing Fortnite when he came across an enemy player, and the pair immediately engaged in a build battle as they attempted to gain the high ground over their opponent. With Tenney gaining the upper hand, he began to peek over the age of this ramp to try and take out his opponent with a shotgun, when he got hit twice by the same weapon, which was being wielded by his opponent, and died. Tfue was sure he had backed up and was protected by a wall and a ramp when he got hit, so he decided to use the game’s Replay mode to check and see if his assumption was right. Tfue skipped forward to the gunfight in question, and took a side-on view so he could see exactly where both players were when he was killed. Read More: When does Fortnite Season 7 begin? – Watching the clip, it was clear to see that Tenney had taken around two steps away from the ledge and back down the ramp, but the shotgun pellets seemed to travel through a brick wall and a brick ramp to take him out. “Yo!” yelled the FaZe star while laughing. “What do you fucking mean, dude? Oh my God. This is unacceptable.” While it’s unclear what actually caused this to happen, some Fortnite fans believe that it was simply a latency issue, with Tfue appearing to still be the top of the ramp for his enemy when they shot, but being further down the ramp on his own screen. However, others believe that this is a problem with the peeking system in Fortnite, which allows players to hit opponents even when they are no longer looking over the edge of cover.

  • Fortnite exploring long-requested mouse and keyboard sensitivity options – Dexerto

Fortnite exploring long-requested mouse and keyboard sensitivity options Epic GamesEpic Games are set on giving players more options for fine-tuning their Fortnite playstyles and revealed one of the ways of doing that will be adding different sensitivity options for mouse and keyboard players. Given the fact that Fortnite is available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, it’s fair to assume that much of the playerbase uses a controller, but there’s still a good chunk that uses mouse and keyboard. A Season 10 update gave many more options to controller players, but KB/M players were left in the dark wondering why they didn’t get any changes. In a blog post on October 3, Epic Games confirmed they are looking at various options for those players, and more specifically, they’re looking at changes to build and edit sensitivities. “We know many of you are playing on keyboard and mouse, so we’re also discussing opportunities to improve control settings for all of you,” Epic wrote in a blog post. “As an example, we’re currently exploring an option that would allow KB/M players to adjust Build and Edit sensitivities.” With building and editing becoming such a big part of the Fortnite competitive scene, it’s good to see Epic prioritizing that first as it’ll be greatly appreciated by the players. No timetable has been given for when this will be implemented as we currently have no idea how far along Epic are with their testing. The Combine game mode that was added for players to test out the new changes will be kept indefinitely given the strong show of support it has received from the community. Epic says they want to see players keep on improving so it’ll be sticking around for the foreseeable future, which will be good if they plan on adding more sensitivity changes in the future. We’re still early in the preliminary stages, but Fortnite players are already excited about what these changes have in store. • Fortnite exploit lets you collect multiple Mosaic Tiles at once – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit lets you collect multiple Mosaic Tiles at once Epic GamesThere’s a new Fortnite exploit out in the wild that lets you collect multiple Mosaic Tiles at once and can help you complete Odyssey quests faster. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is running down, and players are looking for strategies to level up quicker, complete their Battle Pass, and unlock those super-level style skins. To help players get there, Epic has published a slew of new challenges that may provide a lot of XP and even level up tokens. Aside from the regular Match and Weekly quests, players now have access to Takedown quests and a brand new Odyssey questline, which challenges them to examine artifacts on the Fortnite map that are directly linked to the next Fortnite season. Players may earn free cosmetic rewards and XP by accomplishing relevant objectives in the Odyssey questline. To get them, players must gather several Mosaic Tiles around the island by hitting weak spots, opening containers, excavating Mosaic Caches, or defeating opponents. While collecting 300 Mosaic Tiles to get a free cosmetic reward might be tedious, an exploit allows you to gather numerous tiles in one go. Here’s how it works. Fortnite exploit lets you collect multiple Mosaic Tiles from the ground According to renowned Fortnite data miner iFireMonkey, when a Mosaic Tile is on the ground and if you run over it multiple times, it will count as 2 to 3 tiles instead of a single tile. This exploit or bug can come in extremely handy if players want to complete their bonus goals of unlocking the free reward and completing the cryptic image on the Odyssey quests tab. While this exploit only works on tiles that are available as floor loot, several players have claimed it actually works and have eased their grind to collect numerous Mosaic Tiles easily. One such player said, “That technique was what helped me get the back bling within the span of the whole day playing on and off.” Another chimed in by saying how easy it was, “Just go to the yacht and break everything inside.” A third user shared a bonus tip where “if you break objects / weak points near water, the mosiac will fall into the water and lag so it counts as even more mosaics.” As players are finding ways to complete the final questline in Chapter 5 Season 1, leaks for the next Fortnite season have already started to surface and are building excitement among the community.

  • Fortnite exploit will stop you from taking damage from exploding Dynamite – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit will stop you from taking damage from exploding Dynamite Dynamite was recently added to Fortnite Battle Royale during the V6.30 Update, and its introduction to the game hasn’t gone very well. The explosive item has encountered a whole host of issues since it was released, and a Fortnite player has found a new trick with Dynamite which is unlikely to be intended by the developers of the game. A clever Fortnite fan has discovered a way to hold on to sticks of lit Dynamite until they explode without taking any damage from the blast. When players hold onto the explosive for too long instead of throwing it, the Dynamite will deal around 70 points of damage to the player as punishment for not releasing the item. Read More: NICKMERCS and DrLupo debate Fortnite aim assist after Ninja says “it shouldn’t be a thing” – However, Reddit user TheMightyWitcher has discovered that when a player holds a lit stick of dynamite and then stares directly into the air, the stick of dynamite will explode, but deal no damage to the holder. This could be an easy way to break into an enemy base, especially if they are turtling and have built themselves into a 1×1 box,as players just need to stand beside it and look into the sky, allowing the explosive to destroy the wall and simply allow them to walk in. Epic Games added Dynamite to Fortnite on Tuesday, November 20, but within an hour of it’s official release had to disable the item as it was causing “an increase in client crashes.” Fortnite pro play and Team Liquid star Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo has already spoken out against the explosive new item, stating that Dynamite meant the end of building in the game. The item was added back to the game later on the same day, alongside Fortnite’s brand new limited time Wild West mode, featuring limited weaponry to give the game that old-time feel.

  • Fortnite exploit gives players 100% accuracy with Scoped AR – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit gives players 100% accuracy with Scoped AR Epic GamesA Fortnite fan has shown how the Thermal scoped Assault Rifle can be one of the most accurate weapons in the game if used correctly. The gun, which was released on June 11th in the V.4.4 Patch, is not one of the more commonly used weapons in-game despite being released over six months ago. Despite its rarity, plenty of fans will regularly ignore the weapon when it drops out of chests or spawns as floor loot because of its scope. The scope, which fills the majority of a player’s screen, can leave the holder vulnerable to flanking enemies and fast moving targets. Now, however, Reddit user Kearshi has demonstrated just how the weapon can be extremely accurate if used the correct manner. Shockingly enough that manner isn’t, however, aiming down the thermal sight. Instead, Kearshi shows that if players use a quick-scoping aim with the weapon then it is incredibly accurate. Quickly scoping on the target, without fully scoping in, and then shooting will deal major damage to enemies at long-distance. Kearshi also shows that this method also works with airborne targets as he shoots down his flying friend with a quickscope. However, the weapon still isn’t all that great to use in close quarters combat. With its use still likely confined to long and medium ranged battles, players may still opt to use the Hunting Rifle or Sniper rifles instead. Yet, the weapon could become a viable option should players follow Kearshi’s method.

  • Fortnite exploit gives players unlimited gold bars to spend – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit gives players unlimited gold bars to spend Epic GamesA Fortnite player has discovered an interesting way to get a ton of gold bars very quickly after the new Season 6 update. The best part? It’s not a glitch and won’t get you in trouble with Epic Games. Whether players like it or not, it seems like gold in Fortnite is here to stay, at least until the end of Season 6. The in-game item was introduced to players during Season 5 and it allows fans to interact with AI and get anything from low-tier items like materials to high-tier items like exotic and mythical weapons. While there have been exploits in the past that allow you to get high amounts of gold very quickly, there’s now a new one with the start of Season 6 and the best part is that it’s not an actual glitch. Instead, it just allows you to use the game to your advantage. The glitch itself was discovered by Fortnite YouTuber OrangeGuy, who’s known for revealing exploits and glitches in the past. According to him, the process of getting unlimited gold bars is simple and fast (only taking 20 minutes) but it does require you to leave a bunch of games in a short amount of time. To do the exploit, all you have to do is head over to Slurpy Swamp and find the Slurp Jonesy NPC in the main building. He’ll have two quests available to you. The first is to “Destroy Slurp barrels” which is relatively easy to do as there’s a couple right behind where the AI spawns. The next quest tasks you with getting to max health and shields. According to OrangeGuy, this can be done quickly by building next to some of the barrels located nearby. Completing both quests will get you 320 gold. It’s not a secret that if you leave the match, you keep the gold you earned and the quest obviously resets, allowing you to go in, repeat the whole process again and again, until you get yourself to the max amount of gold bars. While this isn’t a glitch as you aren’t doing anything nefarious, it’s hard to imagine that Epic would like this in any regard due to how quickly you can get gold. While they more than likely won’t be doling out punishment to players who take advantage of this exploit, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were to either change up the location of Slurp Jonesy within Slurpy Swamp in order to slow the process down, change the quests he gives out, or remove him from the section entirely. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen what, if anything, Epic plans to do about this exploit as they have yet to comment on it in any regard. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Fortnite exploit allows players to shoot through vehicles – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit allows players to shoot through vehicles Epic GamesA shooting glitch has been found in Fortnite that allows players to shoot their opponents through vehicles. Chapter 3, Season 2 of Fortnite, has seen Epic Games get creative with their beloved battle royale implementing a No-Build mode. The bold game mode departs from the building shenanigans that Fortnite is known for and requires the community to find new defensive strategies in the heat of battle. Some players have taken advantage of the super jump and faster run mechanics Epic Games has incorporated to compensate for the lack of building. Still, other players have begun using vehicles for cover. However, a new shooting glitch has allowed bullets to phase through these car-focused defenses. Fortnite shooting glitch allows bullets to phase through vehicles Brought to light by Redditor ruifrr in a video uploaded to the site, the 43-second clip shows the player attempting to get to their teammate and heal them. Amid the chaotic gunfire, the player grabs his teammate and carries them behind a truck. Taking cover, ruifrr crouches down and attempts to heal them. But, interrupting his moment of heals, the enemy team’s bullets begin phasing through the vehicle and chipping away at their health bars. Confused, they begin moving towards the head of the truck to use this as a defensive measure as maybe the bullets hit their team through the bottom of the truck’s bed. However, we quickly find out that this isn’t the case as more bullets rain down on ruifrr and his squad as the opposition’s bullets continue to phase through the vehicle. A very bizarre glitch. It’s unclear whether or not more players have experienced this kind of issue during their playing experience, but hopefully, this bug is ironed out soon.

  • Fortnite expert comes up with “pay-to-win” Cactus strat in Season 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite expert comes up with “pay-to-win” Cactus strat in Season 3 FortniteFortnite content creator and streamer SypherPK devised an ingenious idea to get the upper hand on enemies during the Chapter 5 Season 3. Chapter 5 Season 3 is centered around a desert wasteland theme inspired by the world of Fallout. However, with the addition of armored vehicles, which have been hotly debated by the community, players are having to come up with creative ways to bring home the Victory Royale. SypherPK takes this to a different level when using The Prickly Patroller and a cactus emote to hide from enemies out in the open. The original cactus skin was released in 2019 during Season 8, and it hasn’t been featured in the shop in over 200 days at the time of writing. If you’re fortunate enough to have the cactus skin and, even better, the emote, employing this clever tactic in your games could be the key to gaining an advantage in Chapter 5 Season 3. The original idea behind posing as a cactus is due to Slurp Cactus that can be found around the map. These cacti heal players, give shields, and can heal vehicles if they are hit by them while driving. In the post, SypherPK goes to the NitroDrome and hides by the locked gate containing Ringmaster Scarr’s Mythic Vehicle. The vehicle is one of the three Mythic Vehicles that can be obtained by defeating the bosses associated with them. Due to the vehicles’ extra advantage, getting in them is a high priority in the new season, so SypherPK decided to pitch himself there. “Wild that this happened so fast,” joked one user on X. Others had a similar sentiment, surprised that his trick worked so well in his favor, especially since the cactus skin that he was using did not look anything like the Slurp Cactus in the game. So, for those who are looking for new ways to shake up the game and get a few extra kills, it may be worth it to follow SypherPK’s footsteps.

  • Fortnite exploit allows players to complete Season 5 challenge easily – Dexerto

Fortnite exploit allows players to complete Season 5 challenge easily Epic GamesA player on Reddit has discovered a brand-new Fortnite exploit is allowing players to complete one of the more annoying Week 12 Legendary Challenges without doing really any of the work and needless to say it pretty much breaks the challenge. Every single week, Fortnite players get a brand-new batch of challenges, now called Quests, to complete in order to earn some battle pass XP. Given the fact that it’s easily the fastest way to level-up your pass, players generally flock to the quests and get them done quickly. Now, one fan has discovered an interesting exploit/bug with one of the new Legendary challenges, and it allows you to break the rules a bit. The challenge itself is a bit difficult: you have hit/damage an enemy within 10 seconds of using the Zero Point dashing. It’s definitely annoying considering the fact that the dash crystals only spawn in one area, and while it’s not extremely difficult to find enemies, if no one decides to drop there, you could be out of luck. Over on Reddit, however, one player noticed that the challenge is horribly bugged. If you go to the center of the map, wait for the storm to come over you, then activate the dash crystal and spam the jump button, you’ll be able to complete the whole challenge in less than 10 seconds. Needless to say, this is a pretty major bug and it wouldn’t be shocking if Epic fixes it as soon as possible. That being said, it’s hard not to imagine that some people have completed the challenge this way by pure accident. It’s very simple to do and a lot of people use the dash crystals to get out of the storm in a pinch, so it’s 100% possible. As for why this bug is occurring, no one has any idea, especially considering the fact that the challenge specifies an enemy, so it’s not like it’s a potential oversight on Epic’s part. Regardless, it still works and it allows you to nab an easy 55K XP within mere seconds.

  • Fortnite Expedition Outpost locations for the Week 7, Season 7 challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite Expedition Outpost locations for the Week 7, Season 7 challenge One of the challenges for Week 7 of Season 7 in Fortnite Battle Royale asks players to visit every Expedition Outpost. Here’s everything you need to know about completing it. The Week 7, Season 7 challenges went live on January 17 but a number of leaks ahead of time gave us a good idea of what to expect long before that happened. One challenge simply asks players to ‘visit all Expedition Outposts’, a task that will certainly be easier if you completed the Expedition Outpost eliminations challenge earlier this season. This time around, though, you’ll need to visit every single one of the Expedition Outpost locations on the map. If you’re not sure where those locations might might be, we’ve marked them all on the map below: You don’t need to visit all of the locations in one match, which would make this challenge virtually impossible, so you could simplify it down to landing at one Expedition Outpost every time you start a new game. Alternatively, you could choose to attempt visiting multiple locations in one game. If you do that, we’d advise planning your route carefully as you’re sure to meet opponents as you run from one marker to the next. As always, we’d advise you to complete every game that you visit an Expedition Outpost in before returning to the lobby. If you leave before being eliminated or winning, your challenge progression could be lost. Don’t forget to visit our Week 7, Season 7 challenges and how to complete them hub if you’re struggling with any other challenges this week.

Fortnite: Everything you need to know about the new modes – Team Rumble LTM and Alchemist Pop-Up Cup Two new game modes have been added to Fortnite Battle Royale – Team Rumble Limited Time Mode and Alchemist Pop-Up Cup event. These modes were added via the v6.31 game update, which went live in Fortnite early in the day on November 27. The Team Rumble LTM is a large team-based mode in which two teams of 20 players fight against each other to see which side can get to 100 eliminations first, which is what’s needed to clinch Victory Royale. Respawning is enabled in this mode, so each player gets to spawn back into the game five seconds after getting eliminated, and they get to keep their inventory. Players will respawn with a random type of ammo after getting eliminated, as well as either 120 Wood, 90 stone, or 60 Metal materials. As far as weapons go, only Uncommon (green) or higher rarity weapons are available in this mode. Much like the Scavenger Pop-Up Cup before it, the Alchemist version is a Duos in-game tournament that tests temporary formats and game adjustments, which are subject to change daily. In this mode, players will load into dedicated lobbies against other pairs in the same tournament and try to score as high as possible. Those who score 20 or more points will receive a special Pin to mark their achievement. A material cap of 500 Wood, 500 Stone, 500 Metal – Harvesting Rate Increased by 40% – +50 Health on Eliminations – Storm Surge If a certain amount of players are remaining by the time the Storm finishes closing, a Storm Surge will activate. This periodically deals damage to players who have the least amount of damage dealt during the match. This periodically deals damage to players who have the least amount of damage dealt during the match. – While nothing has been officially announced, the Alchemist Pop-Up Cup settings could be used for a possible upcoming open tournament, much like how the Scavenger version was used for the Winter Royale Qualifiers. Fortnite EvoChrome weapons: Where to find & how to evolve them Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 introduces a new type of weapon – EvoChrome Weapons – that players can evolve in combat all the way up to Mythic rarity. In the past, Fortnite has introduced evolvable weapons in the form of the Sideways Rifle and Minigun. However, you won’t need to collect monster fragments to power up the all-new EvoChrome weapons. Chapter 3 Season 4 introduces the EvoChrome Shotgun and Burst Rifle that have been transformed by the mysterious Chrome running rampant on the island. Here’s everything we know about the EvoChrome weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. Where to find EvoChrome weapons in Fortnite EvoChrome weapons are found exclusively inside Chrome Chests. These are a new type of chest introduced in Fortnite Season 4 that share the same metallic appearance as everything else affected by the Chrome. Fortnite Season 4 Chrome Chest locations Chrome Chests are found in locations across the map that have been affected by Chrome. These include POIs such as Cloudy Condos, Shimmering Shrine, Lustrous Lagoon, and Herald’s Sanctum. There will be more locations as the Chrome continues to spread. • Fortnite: Every single Battle Star and Banner location for the Season 6 Hunting Party challenges – Dexerto

Fortnite: Every single Battle Star and Banner location for the Season 6 Hunting Party challenges The Hunting Party bonus challenges have run throughout the entire 10 weeks of Season 6 in Fortnite Battle Royale, but some of you might not have found all of them yet. Much like the Blockbuster challenge in Season 4 and the Road Trip challenge in Season 5, the Hunting Party required players to find a secret item hidden on the map each week and to eventually unlock a mystery skin. The outfit turned out to be the A.I.M skin, which could be unlocked after completing seven of the challenges. However, there were still Battle Stars – which can be collected to gain a free Battle Pass tier – or Banners (which are added to your inventory) to find each week. If you’re a completionist, or just really want to get a few free Battle Pass tiers with minimal effort, it’s not too late to back back and complete any of the Hunting Party challenges that you may have missed. Thanks to a new cheat sheet from squatingdog, all of the hidden Banner and Battle Star locations for Season 6 have now been rolled into one map, along with the week that they are associated with: When does Fortnite Season 7 begin? Battle Pass, Season 6 end date and moreOf course, you don’t need that hint because as soon as you’ve completed the challenges for Week 3, for instance, you’ll be able to travel to the Wailing Woods location marked on the map and collect the Battle Star. With the success of the Blockbuster, Road Trip and Hunting Party challenges in the last three seasons, we’re sure that something similar will be implemented for Season 7.

  • Fortnite: Every known spawning location for X-4 Stormwing plane – Dexerto

Fortnite: Every known spawning location for X-4 Stormwing plane Epic GamesFortnite’s Season 7 launched on December 6 and brought along with it attack planes for players to find and use to wreak havoc across the island battlefield. The X-4 Stormwing was a part a hefty haul of the new season’s offerings, and being the first airborne vehicle in the game, players are going to be gunning to be the first ones in. So far the X-4 Stormwing has been a treasure trove of insane plays never seen in Fortnite and here are the spawn locations uncovered as of December 6. These locations can house one to three planes and provide instant dogfight action the moment the engines fire on. Read more: Fortnite: New leaks suggest that the castle at Polar Peaks could see major changes in Season 7 – If a player happens to be on the receiving end of a barrage of bullets, the plane can be easily be abandoned and the player can parachute to the ground or sneak onto the wing of an unsuspecting pilot. The plane holds five empty spots to fill, room for a pilot and four passengers, and has a mounted machine gun that can overheat. The aircraft is pretty mobile as it can barrel roll, boost and hard brake to make dogfights even more hectic. It’s no surprise the engines for the new planes are loud, so players are better off not sticking around the spawn points once they nab a craft. Epic Games could add or change spawn locations for the plane, but this is the current list, which means these locations will have a significant player base racing to drop there.

  • Fortnite: Every LTM during ’14 Days of Fortnite’ event has been leaked [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Fortnite: Every LTM during ’14 Days of Fortnite’ event has been leaked [UPDATED] The v7.10 update of Fortnite has led to quite possibly the most leaks in a 24-span during the game’s history and now data miners have discovered just about every detail of the ‘14 Days of Fortnite’ event. In celebration of the upcoming new year, Epic Games launched the special event that will see new and old Limited Time Modes (LTM) along with daily rewards. Despite only reward and LTM being revealed each day, data miners have dug into the game files and uncovered every single one for the entirety of the 14-day event. 14 Days of Fortnite will see 14 distinct challenges crop up each day that players can complete to obtain special rewards. While those rewards were initially revealed in a previous leak on December 19, the leak has gotten even deeper with every LTM also being uncovered in the game files. A bevy of leaks on December 18 already revealed some of the LTMs that could be on their way back, but now the entire lot have been leaked. There looks to be a good mix of new and returning LTMs, which should give players plenty to play for over the next 14 days. Curiously, there doesn’t seem to be a mention of an Infinity Blade LTM, as a previous leak has alluded to soon after the v7.10 patch dropped. As always, however, there’s no telling whether this list is final as Epic has been known to switch things up at the last minute. In addition to the LTM list that leaked on December 19, the photos for the new modes were leaked on December 20 by @lucas7yoshi and can be seen along with the descriptions below: Day 1 Teams of 33 – Classic – Day 2 Teams of 33 – Siphon (Solo): All healing items have been removed in this mode. The only way to gain health or shields is to eliminate your opponents. – Day 3 Team Terror (50v50): Monsters have invaded the Battle Royale island! Two teams will battle it out as Cube Monsters join the fight. Defeat the other team to earn a Victory Royale. – Icey (solo): Players will have permanent ice cubes on their feet similar to the ones created by Freeze Traps. – Day 4 Team Terror (50v50) – Barebones (Squads): The map, compass, storm timer and many features of the HUD are turned off in this mode. Figuring out who’s friendly during fights and keeping away from the storm is the key to obtaining a Victory Royale. – Day 5 Disco Domination (Teams of 32): Take over the dance floors while eliminating enemies. The first team to fill their meter by capturing and defending dance floors wins! – Sniper Shootout (Duos) – Day 6 Disco Domination (Teams of 32) – Close Encounters (Squad): The game begins as normal, but the storm speed increases over time. The only weapons available are shotguns and jetpacks. – Day 7 Team Rumble (Teams of 24) – Solid Gold (Squads) – Day 8 Team Rumble (Teams of 24) – Score Royale (Duos): Collect points to claim Victory Royale in this new Limited Time Mode. Whoever has the most points at the end of the match wins. – Day 9 Food Fight (Teams of 16): Protect your mascot from the enemies! Destroy or be destroyed. – Ground Games (Squads): This mode features limits on building materials and ammo, meaning that using natural cover and choosing your shots wisely is needed to secure wins – Day 10 Food Fight (Teams of 16) – Sneaky Silencers (Solo) – Day 11 Close Encounters (50v50) – Steady Storm (Solo) – The storm will close in steadily over time. Pay attention! – Day 12 Close Encounters (50v50) – High Explosives 50s (50v50) – Explosive weapons only. – Day 13 High Explosives 50s (50v50) – High Explosives (Squads) – Day 14 High Explosives 50s (50v50) – One Shot (Squads): Snipers are the only weapons available in this mode where everyone only has 50 health and bandages are the only healing item. –

  • Fortnite event leak hints at another Black Hole situation for Season 5 – Dexerto

Fortnite event leak hints at another Black Hole situation for Season 5 Epic GamesFortnite could be set for another Black Hole blackout type event once the upcoming Galactus event comes to a close. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] At the end of Fortnite Chapter 1, Epic Games sent the internet into meltdown as the battle royale was stuck behind a black hole loading screen. There was nothing to do, and some fans feared that the game was finished for good. Obviously, that wasn’t the case, and after a few days of waiting, the game returned in its updated form – rebranded as Fortnite Chapter 2. With the Galactus event on the horizon, fans of the uber-popular battle royale are gearing up to fight alongside some of their favorite Marvel characters. Given how much excitement there is around the event, leakers have not spoiled many details, but some have started to surface – and it appears as if the blackout could return in some form. The potential return of a blackout was pointed out by data miner FNLeaksAndInfo on November 18, who dropped a small spoiler warning. So, if you don’t want to know anything more, this is your last chance to look away. “Prepare for some more possible downtime after the event similar to the Black Hole event!,’” the Aussie dataminer tweeted. “To be continued! In Season 5!” The ‘to be continued line’ appears to come from a part of the text that will appear, likely, once the cinematic event has wrapped up. Though, that is unconfirmed at this time. [SPOILER] Prepare for some more possible downtime after the event similar to the Black Hole event! “”To be continued! This is similar to the original black hole event as well. Some leakers have suggested that Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 will get underway on December 3 – which is a Thursday, the typical day for Fortnite updates. But, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

  • Fortnite Rift Tour event countdown: What is coming at the end of the Season 7 timer? – Dexerto

Fortnite Rift Tour event countdown: What is coming at the end of the Season 7 timer? Epic GamesA mysterious new countdown timer has appeared in the lobby of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, but what does it mean? Well, we finally have an answer: It’s the Rift Tour! On July 27, Epic Games shipped a mini update known as v17.21. Usually, these updates are just hotfixes that add small features to the game, but players had to endure some downtime for this one, which seemed suspicious: Something big was in the works. Well, it turns out that ‘something’ is an ominous countdown that’s appeared in the Fortnite lobby. Many players have been left speculating what it means, and now we finally know that it’s leading up to a live event called the Rift Tour. Here’s everything we know about the Fortnite Season 7 countdown so far, including that long-rumored Ariana Grande concert and what could happen during the Rift Tour event. What is the Fortnite Season 7 countdown for? We now know that the countdown in Fortnite is leading up to the Rift Tour. This is the first live event that’s taken place in the game in months, so there’s plenty of hype and more than a few theories about what could happen. Our biggest guess right now is that there will be a full-scale alien invasion during the event. So far in Season 7, players have had to deal with UFOs, alien parasites, and Mothership abductions. Now, things could be about to heat up even more. It’s been teased for a while that Coral Castle will be the first major location to be destroyed by the alien invaders in Fortnite Season 7, but it seems there could there actually be some widespread destruction across the whole map on the way. These POIs got updated to be abducted in chunks: – Slurpy Swamps – Coral Castle – Corny Complex— HYPEX (@HYPEX) July 27, 2021 Several reliable leakers including HYPEX have revealed that POIs including Slurpy Swamp, Coral Castle, and Corny Complex are all set to be “abducted in chunks” in the near future. Could this all happen during the Rift Tour? Seems likely. Is an Ariana Grande concert happening in Fortnite? One of the biggest rumors from the world of Fortnite over the past few months is that a virtual Ariana Grande concert is set to take place in the game. Epic have now confirmed that this will indeed happen! The pop superstar will appear as the musical guest during the Rift Tour, where she’ll perform songs as players take part in an interactive event. She’s also getting a skin with two different styles and matching cosmetics. It’s also worth pointing out that Travis Scott debuted a brand new song during his Fortnite concert. Could Ariana do the same? We’re keeping our fingers crossed. Could Superman appear in the Rift Tour? It was revealed at the start of Fortnite Season 7 that DC Comics icon Superman will eventually appear in the Battle Pass, and an in-game countdown has teased that it will happen on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Considering this is just a few days after the Rift Tour, it’s not entirely unreasonable to speculate that the Man of Steel could make an appearance during the event. Perhaps he’s got something to do with the alien invaders? When does the Fortnite Season 7 countdown end? The countdown timer in the Fortnite lobby is currently scheduled to expire on Friday, August 6, at 3PM PST / 6PM EST / 11PM BST. This means that the first Rift Tour event will kick off then. There’s every chance that Epic could delay this end date, of course, but they’ve got plenty of time to make sure the event runs smoothly and to plan, so we’re expecting this countdown to stay on track. We’ll keep this article updated when new information emerges, so check back soon.

Fortnite ESL Katowice Royale will enforce weird rule about skins Epic GamesFortnite’s ESL Katowice Royale tournament is set to get underway in Katowice, Poland, but one rule has left pro players confused. Some of the best Fortnite players in the world have descended on Katowice for their shot at the hefty $500,000 prize pool – which is split into solo and duo events. • Fortnite: EU Winter Royale players are experiencing major problems with prominent glitch – Dexerto

Fortnite: EU Winter Royale players are experiencing major problems with prominent glitch While Fortnite tournaments have been known to feature game-altering amounts of lag, the Winter Royale Finals are now being plagued by a different problem altogether. Ever since Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish, Epic Games has been trying to battle the heavy amounts of lag that players face in-game and seem to have finally nailed down some of the more prominent issues. Even with those issues seemingly ironed out, it looks like an entirely new issue is rearing its ugly head in the lead up to 2019’s Fortnite World Cup. The European variant of the Winter Royale Finals kicked off on November 30 and almost right out the gate, players were suffering from instances of a new glitch in Fortnite. In one of the final circles during the semi-finals of the event, one player is seen running across an open field when they’re eliminated. Instead of instantly falling, however, the player kept on running for a couple of seconds before finally disappearing like normal. This wasn’t the only time that this happened, either, as it cropped up in another instance during the stream. While this isn’t as game-breaking of an issue as the heavy amounts of lag that previous tournaments have experienced, it’s nonetheless an issue that could cause problems in such high-level play. The glitch isn’t limited to the Winter Royale, however, as Epic Games has been trying to figure out a fix for the pesky glitch. With more examples in hand, ones on a very prominent stage no less, Epic Games will hopefully be one step closer to eliminating this pesky glitch.

Fortnite: Epic Games reveal update plans for the remainder of 2018 Love them or hate them, Epic Games had a tremendous year from start to finish, and now Fortnite fans will have to wait until the new year for any new developments from the studio. Epic Games has been working on Fortnite seemingly on a near-consistent basis, releasing almost six full seasons of content all in the same year, but now things will stay the same for a little while as Epic Games are taking a holiday. The announcement was met with resounding congratulatory well wishes from the majority of fans, while there was a minority of people concerned about the lack of updates for the next couple of weeks. Nevertheless, it looks like there won’t be much news from the developer until the new year rings in.

  • Fortnite: Equalizer Glider warns of nuclear missile launch in what could be first teaser for Season 8 – Dexerto

Fortnite: Equalizer Glider warns of nuclear missile launch in what could be first teaser for Season 8 Players have discovered something rather interesting about the news Equalizer Glider in Fortnite Battle Royale and it may offer a bit of foreshadowing. The Equalizer Glider was given as a reward for players who completed at least one of the 14 challenges that were offered as part of the 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event. An in-game bug has allowed players to spot a small warning label on the glider, and while at first glance it may seem not that important, a closer look reveals that it is actually a warning for a nuclear missile launch. The label is bright yellow, features the traditional yellow and black triangular symbol used universally to warn of potential danger, and includes the words: “Warning! Nuclear missile launched!” The warning was first seen by Reddit user ‘Neelylol,’ who posted the following image to the FortniteBR sub-Reddit. Upon seeing this, data miner ‘lucas7yoshi_,’ a trusted outlet for Fortnite-related news and leaks, went into the game files and discovered that the warning label is a standalone texture that was applied to the Equalizer Glider. The texture was filed under the name ‘Glider_FortniteDJ,’ which was likely the placeholder name used for the glider until they came up with the name Equalizer. Many players are theorizing that this warning label could be in reference to the launch of The Visitor’s Rocket back in Season 4, which took place during a massive and one-time worldwide in-game event. While that Rocket launch did fundamentally affect both the game’s story and mechanics, there were no indications that the Rocket was ever nuclear, which makes it seem as though this new warning label could be a teaser for something yet to come. If an in-game nuclear missile launch were to happen, the resulting effects could be massive enough to destroy the current map and replace it with a new one, which is what many players have been predicting will happen at some point for a long time now.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games reveal more details about Bots in Season 11 – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games reveal more details about Bots in Season 11 Epic GamesBots are arriving in Fortnite with Season 11 and Epic Games revealed some more information about how they will work. In case you haven’t heard, bots are coming to Fortnite Season 11 as a way to help newer players learn the ropes. Heading into Season 11, the meta has greatly shifted from building simple forts into complex builds and quick edits, something that the average player has problems with doing. Bots will help alleviate some of these concerns for newer players, but up until this point, we didn’t know exactly what skills they would have. Epic explained how they wanted the bots to help players learn the mechanics of the game, but none of that would really matter if they had perfect aim and were able to crank 90s. Fortunately, Epic says the bots would be able to do 90s (yet) and they also won’t be able to use vehicles, meaning they will have some limitations. They say they are looking to see how far the bots can be pushed, but they won’t have the complete repertoire of a normal player at launch. For those who were hoping to get into squads match with a team full of bots, you’re out of luck. Epic confirmed you won’t be able to party up with them and don’t have any plans to support this function. While it won’t be available at launch, Epic are looking into allowing for full bot lobbies for players to hone their skills. If players are defeated by a bot in a match, they won’t be spectating them but will instead be switched onto a regular player. Epic also confirmed Creative Mode will not feature bots, but it’s something they will add to their roadmap. For more about bots, and some of the other things Epic mentioned, you can read the full October 3 blog post.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games reveal all the reasons why Turbo Building was nerfed – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games reveal all the reasons why Turbo Building was nerfed Epic GamesFortnite nerfed turbo building in patch 10.20 and the competitive players have been riled up about it, but Epic explained why that decision was made. Turbo building is essential for the top-tier Fortnite players to “crank 90s” which is why they were so upset when they saw the nerf come in. However, Epic explains there were actually a number of good reasons for this nerf, wiht one of them being it benefited low ping players disproportionately. Having 0 ping allows players to “take walls” and Epic doesn’t want it to be as simple as that going forward. Another reason they gave is it was too easy to defend with and cited that one player could defend against an entire squad by just holding the button down. Read More: Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite – Epic wants building to be more deliberate and less “spammy” which is something that was very possible with the previous turbo build. Going forward, Epic Games will be building upon this nerf by making some adjustments that won’t make building as powerful as it is now. Instead of prioritizing lower ping, Epic plans on implementing a completely different way to decide who gets a wall. Here are the methods Epic are considering: Coin flip between people not currently owning the building piece – Coin flip between everyone trying to build – Favor person currently owning building piece – Epic explains the decision wasn’t made to stop players from performing 90s or adding a floor to stop a long fall, so they are aware of the issues that came from that. At the end of all this, it sounds like the main reasoning is they want to eliminate the major benefits that come with 0 ping. Players will still have some positives from playing on lower ping but it won’t be as powerful as it was anymore. Epic believes they are leveling the playing field for everyone by doing this but only time will tell if that’s the case. For the time being, players are still upset and we’ll have to see how they adjust to the patch going forward. You can read the entire blog post by Epic Games here.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games reveal EVERY change coming to the X-4 Stormwing plane in v7.10 update – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games reveal EVERY change coming to the X-4 Stormwing plane in v7.10 update Epic Games have announced that there are a flurry of changes coming to the X-4 Stormwing plane in Fortnite Battle Royale via the next game update. According to Community Coordinator Sean Hamilton, more commonly known as MrPopoTFS on social media, there are four major changes coming to the X-4 Stormwing, the majority of which will be meant to reduce the plane’s effectiveness. According to a tweet he put out on December 17, Stormwings will now take 50% more damage from hitting objects, and boosting will reduce the damage take from impacts by 50%, as opposed to how boosting previously would prevent all impact damage. As far as destroying objects by running through them with the Stormwing, the plane will now take more damage compared to the previous effect. Last but not least, damage done to players that are riding in a Stormwing when the plane is shot down will be increased from 25 points to 50, all of which will go directly towards health, regardless of whether the player has any shield or not. Earlier on December 17, Epic announced that the update was set to go live early on December 18, but later backed off of that timetable due to “last minute issues” and said that they will provide a new release date and time once they resolve the problem. Due to last minute issues discovered within the build, we’ve had to delay the timing for the release of the v7.10 update. We’ll provide more details on an exact time once we have more information. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 17, 2018 As for the changes themselves, this is a hugely positive sign for the vast player-base of Fortnite, most of whom had been complaining about how powerful the X-4 Stormwing has been since its addition at the start of Season 7. Players will likely want to wait and see how these changes impact the playability of the plane in-game before judging whether the patch has been a positive one or not, but, on paper, the changes to seem to fall in line with what the players have been asking for. Interestingly enough, once these changes are implemented, another major item that was added for Season 7 will have been nerfed or completely taken out, with the controversial Infinity Blade sword also coming to mind. including the brand new Driftboard vehicle that will make its first appearance since being teased several weeks ago.For full details about the v7.10 update, including an updated release date and time, all confirmed changes and additions, what players can expect, and more, visit our information hub and follow us on Twitter @Dexerto for up-to-the-minute info.

Epic Games added the X-4 Stormwing to Fortnite at the start of Season 7 and just as players are still trying to adjust to its inclusion, another new vehicle is about to be added to the game. On December 17, Fortnite’s in-game newsfeed updated to reveal that a new snowboard-like vehicle, called the Driftboard would be added to the game soon. The introduction of the Driftboard is coming at a time when mobility in Fortnite is at an all-time high. Between Grapplers, the newly-released X-4 Stormwing, the other three vehicles that were already in the game prior to Season 7 and now that Driftboard, players should have no problem traversing the map. The question now turns to how rare the Driftboard will be and how it will fit into the ever-changing Fortnite meta. While not confirmed, the new vehicle will likely be added with the v7.10 update that is expected to be released on December 18. • Fortnite: Epic Games releases ‘Code of Conduct’ for new Creative mode – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games releases ‘Code of Conduct’ for new Creative mode Epic GamesIn preparation of Fortnite Creative’s early access release on December 6, the developers have published a code of conduct that they want players to adhere to in order to ensure a fun and friendly environment for all. Fortnite Creative is a new sandbox mode that will allow players to experiment, create, and share endless scenes and game types on their own private island. In publishing the Fortnite Creative Code, Epic Games wants to put a preemptive stop to inappropriate or offensive content or behavior that might come out of the inventive mode. The code of conduct has your typical do’s and don’ts, but the developers gave some of them a cultural spin that looks for players to “be an extension of the brand.” The developers aren’t kidding either, some language in the code of conduct suggests that violations to the edict might be met with stringent consequences. “The Fortnite Creative code is not final and will change over time, make sure you are checking back to stay up to date,” Fortnite’s latest post said. “‘But, I didn’t know…’ is not a valid excuse, and honestly a pretty bad one. We’re all here to have fun and enjoy the world of Fortnite!” The Fortnite developers have seen just how imaginative their players can be, so they still want to provide what they market, which is a free and creative space. Epic Games wants to provide as safe of an environment to its players while juggling all the new content from the beginning of Season 7 on December 6 to Fortnite Creative’s early access launch and subsequent public launch on December 13. • Fortnite: Epic Games have accidentally leaked a new holiday skin – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games have accidentally leaked a new holiday skin It seems that everyone is in the business of leaking Fortnite updates, including the company behind the game itself as a new skin was accidentally introduced on its social media account. Fortnite has been getting constant additions to its game for the holiday season in the form of new modes, add-ons, skins and leakers have been hard at work at exposing them before their official release, well Epic Games probably didn’t expect themselves to be one of those leakers. In a since deleted post, Fortnite’s official Instagram account published a photo of a trendy-looking winter elf that cannot be located within the game’s item shop, leading many to believe a mistake had been made behind-the-scenes. The Fortnite developers decided that no elf is complete without a contemporary pair of glasses, as the new skin design dons an almost-squared framed pair of eye gear. Most notable is the snowflake on the model’s back that rounds out the design. As with a lot of thematic releases, a matching glider will likely be available alongside the new skin. There’s no word on when we’ll see this in-game, but it’s likely that it could be coming out as soon as the next update on December 29 just in time for the New Year.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games employee sheds light on confusion surrounding FNBR Leaks takedown – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games employee sheds light on confusion surrounding FNBR Leaks takedown Epic GamesThe popular Fortnite data-mining site, FNBR Leaks, recently closed its digital doors citing a cease and desist from attorneys representing Epic Games, but the action may not be as clear cut as it appears. FNBR Leaks was a popular source for news and updates for the battle royale, who had amassed a significant following since it started in May 2018, however Epic Games took issue with the site for reasons other than divulging undisclosed Fortnite information. In a reply to a Reddit post, Epic Games Community Coordinator Sean ‘MrPopoTFS’ Hamilton clarified that the takedown was due to FNBR Leaks promotion of software tools that went against Epic Games’ terms of service (TOS). The explanation was brief but direct in clearing the motives behind Epic Games pursuit for FNBR Leaks’ site and Twitter to be taken down. “The owner of this account and others promoted and advertised the sale of game modification tools which violate our terms of service, and this is not directly related to data mining or leaking,” MrPopoTFS said. The response gave a lot of users an appropriate resolution to the matter, citing that although the site and what they did would be missed, selling or promoting tools to modify the game merited the developers to take some action. Since there is not a likelihood of Epic Games or FNBR Leaks’ Preston addressing the matter further, MrPopoTFS’s remark might be the last word we here on the case. MrPopoTFS’s reply should suffice for those wondering why other data-miners are continuing as normal, but time will tell if the hole FNBR Leaks leaves in the community will be filled.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games gives update on problems with “Deal damage with different weapons” challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games gives update on problems with “Deal damage with different weapons” challenge Epic Games have addressed a bug with one of Fortnite’s Weekly Challenges released on January 10 that asks players to deal damage with multiple weapon types in order to complete. Fortnite gives players a wide-open battlefield to devise the best way to come on top in the 100-player battle royale, but Epic Games likes to give its players extra incentives with weekly challenges to keep the game fresh. Feedback from the community has directed Epic Games to the bugged challenge that asks players to deal damage with five different weapons in a match, and the company thinks that it might have to do with modes that allow respawns. The issue preventing players from getting credit for damaging enemies with 5 weapons in a single match seems to only be occurring in modes that allow respawns. This will be fixed in a future update. In the meantime, you can complete this Challenge in all non-respawning modes. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 10, 2019 The update was brief, but gave fans hope of claiming the challenge. For the time-being, sticking to the normal battle royale mode would be the best way for players to get credit for completing the task. Some members of the community have had success completing the challenge on respawn modes such as Disco Domination, leading Epic Games to dig further into the problem. “In respawn modes, it appears that you’ll be granted credit until you’re eliminated for the first time. After you respawn, you may be unable to progress any further in that match,” the developer said. In respawn modes, it appears that you’ll be granted credit until you’re eliminated for the first time. • Fortnite: Epic Games details all known issues with the Infinity Blade – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games details all known issues with the Infinity Blade Epic GamesEpic Games has unleashed a powerful sword to the main game of Fortnite, and although its allure and usability is undeniable, the negative reception has led the developers to address some concerns with the item. The Infinity Blade was introduced to Fortnite with the v7.01 update released on December 11, and is a part of the winter-themed story line that dominates a sizable portion of the map, but the weapon might be a bit too broken for players to use. Reddit user FreightTrainUSA, an Epic Games Community Coordinator, has addressed some concerns with the Infinity Blade that are currently being worked on by the developers. In the brief post, FreightTrainUSA notes two glaring errors cause by the use of the Infinity Blade. The first is the loss of the heads up display (HUD) after using the Infinity Blade. The community coordinator offered a workaround to the problem, by simply entering a game, opening the settings, navigate to gear, then select HUD and turn the Quickbar setting to On. The second problem deals with an animation bug that shows the player repeatedly swinging the blade “for a short time, without ever fully completing the animation.” What the post did not address was the notable amount of gripe the community is expressing toward the Infinity Blade and concerns revolving its inclusion with the NA Winter Royale Finals currently underway and wrapping up on December 12. Epic Games will undoubtedly want to address major balance concerns with a lot of money on the line for many players, but official word has yet to be given.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games change stance on explosive damage update following community backlash [Hotfix released] – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games change stance on explosive damage update following community backlash [Hotfix released] UPDATE: The hotfix to revert the explosive buff has now been implemented. The hotfix has been deployed and explosives no longer damage players through structures. Thanks again for the feedback and discussion you provided. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 2, 2018 One of the most controversial changes in Fortnite Battle Royale’s November 1 update was the buff to explosives. Now, Epic Games have made a decision to backtrack entirely. The somewhat perplexing decision to allow 25% of explosive damage to ‘penetrate through structures and the environment’ received a great deal of backlash from the Fortnite community, particularly professional players. Clips and Twitter rants quickly began to pop up all over social media once the v6.21 patch went live, with most players agreeing that it made explosives far too powerful. It would seem that the feedback did not fall on death ears, as Epic Games’ Design Lead, Eric Williamson has confirmed that the changes will be reverted entirely at some point today (November 2). “We’ll be reverting the explosive damage change today,” Williamson explained on Twitter. “Thanks for your feedback.” We’ll be reverting the explosive damage change today – thanks for your feedback :slightly_smiling_face: — Eric Williamson (@erwil9) November 2, 2018 This was confirmed shortly after by the official Fortnite Twitter account: “We’ll be releasing a hotfix today to revert the changes made to explosives damaging through structures. • Fortnite: Epic Games confirm investigation into phantom shot bug – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games confirm investigation into phantom shot bug Epic GamesEpic Games is now looking into an issue in Fortnite that causes fired bullets to seemingly go missing from the server. The problem crops up with multiple weapons in the game but is most notable with shotguns, especially when it is the first fired weapon in an engagement. A video by Reddit user ‘jzimoneaux’ posted on December 3, prominently shows the bug and its effects on the game. The video shows two players engaged in a build battle and when the building ceases, jzimoneaux is tracking their enemy below. At the opportune moment, jzimoneaux jumps down with a pump shotgun in tow. Judging by the video, jzimoneaux would have landed a quick, accurate shot at close range to the head of their enemy. Instead, the bug occurred and the first shot of the engagement went missing. This gave time for the other player to line up a shot while taking out his shotgun and landing a return shot for the kill. Thankfully, the video’s thread featured a reply from Reddit user ‘JShredz,’ a Live Operations employee at Epic Games, who gave context and reassurance to readers. “It appears that outbound (from you to a server) packets for a small group of specific Internet Service Providers are being dropped in certain scenarios, we’ve also seen it most often when a shotgun is the first shot of an engagement,” JShredz explained. The Epic employee said that an “active investigation” is underway at the studio and with working partners, but a fix has yet to be found.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games announces revamped in-game tournament system – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games announces revamped in-game tournament system Epic GamesCompetitive Fortnite players had a field day in 2018 as Epic Games hosted tournaments seemingly at every turn, but the developers are working on a better system for competitions that will keep its players at bay for the time being. Fortnite had a tremendous amount of players competing in the various tournaments held in 2018, so to make the playing and viewing experience better for every stakeholder Epic Games are going to redo its backend to allow for more online tournaments to run much more fluidly. In a Reddit post, Epic Games Esports Designer Colin ‘SkyzYn’ Fogle reached out to the community after many had wondered about the lack of scheduled online tournaments in the new year by telling fans that the wait will be well rewarded. SykzYn explained that the new system will integrate features that will allow events to play out in a streamlined manner, which the company hopes will improve the quality of online tournaments being held. “During January we’ll be transitioning to a new tournament backend system which will help enable features such as live in-game leaderboards during events, support for tournaments to take place across multiple knockout rounds, and allow us to create a richer variety of events to keep the experience fresh and exciting,” SykzYn said. Although the news doesn’t seem flashy on the surface, SykzYn reaffirms that the decision will play a key role in improving future competitions for the game. The announcement was received with mixed emotions from fans as some felt that some iteration of a Pop-Up Cup should be offered in the meantime, while others believe main efforts should be diverted to working on the long-awaited Ranked Playlists. Epic Games enjoyed the success of the various Pop-Up Cups throughout 2018, but saw obvious improvements that could be made and will hope that the new system will go a long way to patch past problems.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games announces change to Infinity Blade in ‘Explorer Pop-Up Cup’ mode – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games announces change to Infinity Blade in ‘Explorer Pop-Up Cup’ mode The newly-released Infinity Blade has been the center of much discussion, which has led to Epic Games announcing an small change to the weapon. The Infinity Blade was added to Fortnite with December 11’s v7.01 update and has led to outcries from all corners of the community after players used it to dominate the first day of the NA Winter Royale Finals. After being silent on the issue immediately following the tournament on December 11, Epic Games has now spoken out on it with the announcement of a new change. Epic Games Community Coordinate ‘FreightTrainUSA’ posted a short message on Reddit saying that they’ve fixed an issue that caused the Blade to grant more HP than intended during the Explorer Pop-Up Cup tournament mode. The Winter Royale Finals are currently being used with this rule set, which means that the change could make it a bit easier for players to kill a sword-bearing player. This change doesn’t tend to the overall issue of the Infinity Blade simply being incredibly strong, however. Dealing 75 damage per swing, players can easily wipe out hordes of people with ease using the Infinity Blade, as demonstrated during the Winter Royale Finals on December 11. Many players have suggested limiting the Infinity Blade to a Limited Time Mode playlist similar to what was done with the ‘Thanos Infinity Gauntlet’ LTM. No word has been given on whether this change will be made, however. As always, be sure to follow us @Dexerto on Twitter for all the upcoming developments on the controversial Infinity Blade.

  • Fortnite: Epic Games announce ‘The Block,’ where best Fortnite creations will appear in-game – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games announce ‘The Block,’ where best Fortnite creations will appear in-game Epic Games have made a major announcement in regards to their popular Fortnite Battle Royale title, revealing the brand new space on the map known as ‘The Block.’ During an in-game event that took place late on December 6, a large layer of cement dropped out of the Fortnite sky and landed straight on top of the Risky Reels location on the northeast corner of the map. The new square space features two large signs on each end with ‘The Block’ written on them, and they are literally the only objects found on the otherwise empty lot. The Block was officially revealed at The Game Awards 2018, taking place in Los Angeles, CA, where a trailer for it was played on the main screen. The trailer features The Block falling from the sky and literally covering up the entirety of Risky Reels, leaving no trace of the former location anywhere. Donald Mustard, Worldwide Creative Director of Fortnite, was present live at The Game Awards when the trailer was reveailed and the in-game event took place. According to Mustard, The Block ties in directly with the new Creative mode that launched in Fortnite along with Season 7 on December 6. The Creative mode gives players their own Fortnite island and offers them the chance to create virtually anything, and “the best and coolest” creations will be displayed in the actual game at The Block for everyone to see. As far as who decides which creations are good enough to appear at The Block, Mustard said that “we’re going to all pick it together,” which is rather vague, but Epic have already recommended players to post their creations on social media and use #FortniteBlockParty. In terms of the guidelines for the submissions, here are some of the rules that Epic have listed in their official blog post for The Block. 25×25 tile area on a flat section of your island. The Fortnite community has been abuzz with talks of the powerful Infinity Blade sword ever since it was introduced on December 11. After witnessing the weapon dominate conversation surrounding the NA Winter Royale, Epic Games made a post on the Fortnite subreddit to explain the design philosophy behind the weapon and announce a key change set to come in the next update. Epic start the post out by saying that the introduction of the Infinity Blade at Mythic rarity as opposed to the previous highest rarity of Legendary was to “provide new and flavorful ways to interact with the map and generally shake up normal play across default modes.” Nonetheless, it was clear that a change for the weapon was needed, which will lead to the removal of the ability to build and harvest while holding the sword. When designing the Infinity Blade the goal was to provide a weapon with inherent risk to balance out the great capability it provides – the ability to harvest/build removes a great deal of that risk. By taking away the ability to harvest/build we hope to tune the Infinity Blade to where it feels risky to have, but still satisfying to wield. Curiously, there was no word on moving the item to its own Limited Time Mode as many in the community have suggested. Between the absence of such mention and Epic’s mention of wanting to introduce item that change “the way the game is played for those who interact with that item,” it looks as though the Infinity Blade is here to stay. Epic also mentioned that providing items above the Legendary threshold is something we’ll “continue to see,” pointing to the introduction of more powerful items in the future. This won’t be the end of the road for adjustments to the Infinity Blade, however, as Epic said they “will continue to monitor the Blade’s effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.” You can read the full post down below: Let’s talk about the Infinity Blade! We released the Mythic Infinity Blade item with the v7.01 update and have since seen a healthy amount of discussion and feedback around it. In response to what we’ve seen, we’re looking to provide more context on item philosophy and some upcoming changes to the Blade. Mythic Items The presence of Mythic items in gameplay is to provide an interaction a step above the Legendary item functionality and something you’ll continue to see. To us, that means changing the way the game is played for those who interact with that item. The addition of items in this tier provide new and flavorful ways to interact with the map and generally shake up normal play across default modes. We’ll have some more info with regards to our competitive philosophy when it comes to new items, updates and seasons within Fortnite early next week. Infinity Blade Changes The change we’re currently planning for the Infinity Blade in our v7.10 update is to remove the ability to build and harvest when wielding the Blade. After this removal we’ll continue to monitor the Blade’s effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary as well as communicate those changes. Thank you so much for your discussion and feedback around the Infinity Blade! Source – Reddit

  • Fortnite: Epic Games announce major improvement coming to Mounted Turrets in v7.20 update – Dexerto

Fortnite: Epic Games announce major improvement coming to Mounted Turrets in v7.20 update Epic Games have confirmed that they will be fixing a critical bug associated with the Mounted Turrets in Fortnite Battle Royale and it looks to be huge improvement to the controversial item. The bug that’s currently affecting Mounted Turrets is causing the hit-markers that players see when firing at one shown as white rather than bronze/gold. Epic Games implemented bronze/gold hit-markers in order to help players who are shooting at vehicles be able to easily differentiate whether their shots are striking the body of the vehicle of the pilot and/or passengers riding inside. Although Mounted Turrets are not a vehicle, this effect was implemented to the item because players can still use it by entering the attached seat. However, this bug is causing the hit-markers to be white and confusing players who fire at the turrets. Read More: Dr DisRespect compares Epic Games to Daybreak after hilarious, rage-induced Fortnite death – This issue was brought to the attention of the developers by a Reddit user ‘SmackJevans,’ who posted a video asking the hit-markers to be colored back in. Funnily enough, Epic representative ‘EpicDustyDevo’ thought it was a fantastic new idea and had this to say in the comments section: “Great idea, looks like we can bang this out quickly and have it out next week with 7.20. Thanks for the input!” Turns out that the rep was simply out of touch on the issue and later realized that the idea had already been implemented but was being hindered by a bug. Owning up to the mistake, the rep confirmed that the bug would still be fixed in the next game update: “Was just informed it was a bug, not a new feature. Can you tell I didn’t read the whole thread? Anyway, thanks for bringing it up, will be fixed next week.” Until then, players will have to make do with the bugged out hit-markers and somehow figure out whether they are hitting the Mounted Turrets or the players controlling them.
