We’ll be releasing a small client patch tomorrow, January 31st at 7am EST (1200 UTC) to address some minor bugs. Many are speculating that the minor patch will also see the Ping counter get fixed after the v7.30 update changed the way Epic Games’ servers calculated users’ connection. Read more: Fortnite Season 7 Week 9 challenges leaked – The problem got increasingly annoying when it would display “Connection Lost” to many players, even though nothing seemed to be wrong with their ping. The patch is said to be a seamless integration that won’t require any downtime for the game, but will still require players to update their clients. With the many problems plaguing the game lately, Epic Games will sure to be closely monitoring the status of their game shortly after the patch.

Fortnite: Epic Games announce compensation for players who missed out on the final 14 Days of Fortnite reward – Dexerto
Fortnite: Epic Games announce compensation for players who missed out on the final 14 Days of Fortnite reward After many Fortnite players were shocked to find the 14 Days of Fortnite event had ended earlier than expected, Epic Games has now announced compensation for those who missed out on the final reward. Each day of the 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event brought new challenges and rewards for players to obtain, with the final one being the Equalizer Glider as a way to ring in the new year. Early on in the event, it was announced that the challenges would be available until January 3 or 4 to give players some extra time to complete the challenges. Upon logging in on January 2, however, players quickly noticed that the challenges were all gone, meaning that many missed out on the final reward. To compensate for this oversight, Epic Games has announced that anyone who completed at least one challenge during the event will be granted the Equalizer Glider. We apologize for communicating the wrong end date for 14 Days of Fortnite on social channels. To make up for this, players that completed at least one 14 Days Event Challenge will be granted the Equalizer Glider. Eligible players will begin receiving theirs in the near future. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 2, 2019 There’s no official date as to when players will receive the items, with Epic Games simply announcing that they would come in the “near future.” Regardless of when players finally receive the items, they will surely be happy to pick up one of the most sought after items of the entire event. In the meantime, players can also look forward to the recently announced v7.10 content update #3 that’s set to go live on January 8. The 3rd and final Content Update for v7.10 is on this coming Tuesday. — Sean Hamilton (@MrPopoTFS) January 2, 2019 While there’s no official confirmation on what we’ll see in the update, it’s expected that we’ll see the delayed Driftboard or leaked Machine Pistol once it finally goes live. Fortnite: Epic Games announce ending date and time for Gifting feature – Dexerto
Fortnite: Epic Games announce ending date and time for Gifting feature The new Gifting feature in Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to an end, and Epic Games have announced the exact ending date and time. The feature will no longer be available as of Tuesday, December 4, and users will have until 7 AM PT/ 10 AM ET / 6 PM GMT to gift cosmetic items to each other. This announcement was made via a post on the official Fortnite twitter page on December 3. “The initial period for the Gifting feature ends tomorrow, December 4 at 10 AM ET,” the tweet reads. “Surprise your Epic friends with a gift while this feature is still available.” It’s likely that this feature is being disabled for the time being so that it does not interfere with the launch of Season 7, which is set to take place less than two days later on December 6. The initial period for the Gifting feature ends tomorrow, December 4 at 10 AM ET. Surprise your Epic friends with a gift while this feature is still available! pic.twitter.com/2928pK6Ojm — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 3, 2018 The use of the phrase “initial phase” make it pretty clear that the feature will be making a return in the near future, probably at some point during the holiday season. That would make the most sense from Epic’s point of view, considering that’s the time of the year when players are most likely to want to gift each other cosmetic items. After having been hinted at for months, the Gifting feature was finally introduce in Fortnite on November 27, which to the pleasure of the game’s vast community. Available on all platforms except Apple’s iOS, the feature allowed users to gift cosmetic items to each other from the existing Item Shop. However, there were several rules in place that prevented abuse of the system, including the requirement that multi-factor authentication be enabled, the two users be friends on Epic for at least 48 hours, a maximum of three gifts can be sent within a 24 hour period, and that the choices were limited to the items currently available in the Item Shop at the specific time.

Fortnite unvaults three weapons to kick off 14 Days of Summer event – Dexerto
Fortnite unvaults three weapons to kick off 14 Days of Summer event Epic GamesEpic Games appear to have thrown caution to the wind and unvaulted three weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale to kick off the 14 Day of Summer event. The game developers released the v9.30 content update on June 25, where they confirmed that the previously leaked event was being set live in the battle royale game mode. Patch notes stated that players could look forward to getting their hands on several weapons that have been tied down in the vault, each being released for a 24-hour period – with the first set to be the LMG. However, it looks like three weapons are here to stay, and aren’t going to be part of the event. Members of the game’s online community have been a little confused by the way the items have returned, though. One user, MarcTheSharc1119, posted to the Fortnite BR subreddit, showing an LMG, Pump Shotgun, Suppressed SMG, and Revolver all featuring in their inventory. Each of these weapons were included in the v9.30 patch notes and have been added back to the game, not as part of the event. The notes also explicitly state that each day will feature “a weapon unvaulted for 24 hours only.” By bringing back vaulted weapons with the latest patch, some fans thought Epic Games had made the mistake of unvaulting some of the 14 Days of Summer weapons and items early, ahead of the development team’s long-awaited summer break. The in-game news feed states: “Each day we’re bringing back a vaulted weapon for one day only! Today’s weapon is the LMG,” according to an image posted to Twitter by serial leaker Lucas7Yoshi. Battle Royale News Feed Update: [Automatically Posted] pic.twitter.com/MPYBmSRrj7 — Lucas7yoshi // Fortnite Leaks/News (@Lucas7yoshi) June 25, 2019 Since that was posted to the news screen, many Fortnite players – such as Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman – have spotted that much more than just the LMG have escaped the vault. With a whole host of weapons and items already locked away in the Fortnite vault, fans will be waiting to see what exactly the 14 Days of Summer will have in store for them. Who knows, even the Infinity Blade could come back! Last updated on June 25, 2019 at 11:25 am (EST).

Fortnite enables XP on UEFN and Creative Islands – Dexerto
Fortnite enables XP on UEFN and Creative Islands Epic GamesEpic Games has made it so Fortnite players can now earn XP through maps made in Unreal Editor for Fortnite. On March 22, 2023, Epic Games revealed that Unreal Editor for Fortnite was entering its Public Beta period on PC, meaning players everywhere could download this revamped editing tool. Since then, fans have made some truly impressive Creative maps like sprawling desert landscapes made for Motocross stunts and even the entire OG Fortnite map from Chapter 1. Now, Epic Games has made it so fans can earn XP by playing these creative maps made in the UEFN, which should give players much more incentive to explore everything these community-made maps have to offer. Epic Games enables XP earning for UEFN maps The official Fortnite Creators Twitter account announced the change on April 21, 2022, alongside a blog post that went into more detail about what players could expect with these changes. According to the post, “For now, XP from playing UEFN islands will be earned by players on a per-minute basis, and will not be tied to the Accolade device.” For those who may not know, the Accolade device is a tool that Fortnite Creative players can enable so that players can earn Battle Pass XP on the maps they’ve created. However, setting up Accolade interactions for Creative Islands took a bit of know-how, so this change will hopefully streamline things a bit for UEFN. Epic Games explained that their goal for this change was “for players to be able to earn XP at a similar average rate whether they are playing Fortnite Creative islands, UEFN islands, or Battle Royale/Zero Build.” The dev team noted that they will continue to monitor XP gains and “make adjustments as needed.” Finally, XP earned through playing UEFN Islands will be given to players on an hourly basis directly to their account. As such, players shouldn’t be alarmed if they don’t see XP right away, as it will take some time to be granted. Epic ended the post with confirmation that the Accolade Device would still make its way to UEFN in the future so creators can distribute XP to players easily.

Fortnite: Epic Games admits to hilarious blunder with new snow biome – Dexerto
Fortnite: Epic Games admits to hilarious blunder with new snow biome Epic GamesEpic Games have admitted they forgot to place vending machines into Fortnite’s new snow biome after being called out on Reddit. The Season 7 update remade a quarter of the Fortnite battle royale map snow-covered and added several new points of interest like Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, and more. While map changes and updates are always welcomed by fans, some noticed that vending machines appeared to be missing from the new winter area of the map. In response to a post by user Krazyflips, who discovered the vending machines were missing, David Spalinsky, Design Lead at Epic Games, admitted on /r/FortniteBR that Epic forgot to add vending machines to the new area on the map. Vending machines are crucial to the flow of matches as they allow players to trade materials for weapons and other items. Read More: Fortnite: Brand new Barebones LTM brings CoD’s Hardcore mode to battle royale | 14 Days of Fortnite event – With all the excitement surrounding the launch of Season 7, Spalinsky admitted that Epic simply forgot to place vending machines in the snow biome area of the map. Thanks for calling this out. Yeah, we did forget. We will add vending machines to the snow biome area in 7.20 Spalinsky did assure fans that the issue would be fixed in the 7.20 patch, so for now serious players might be better off landing at The Block, which has advantages of it’s own. An official date for 7.20 has yet to be announced because Epic is on Winter Break, but it will probably come sometime shortly after New Years.

Fortnite players baffled by censorship of Eminem songs in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite players baffled by censorship of Eminem songs in-game Epic GamesFortnite players call out censorship of Eminem songs on the in-game radio, specifically for “butchering” the rapper’s lyrics. Eminem will officially make his Fortnite debut on Wednesday, November 29, with a skin that sports three of the hip-hop artist’s iconic looks. The rapper’s also set to head up Fortnite Big Bang, a live event marking the end of Season OG on Tuesday, December 2. In celebrating the upcoming crossover, it seems Epic has reinstated some Eminem tracks to the in-game Icon Radio catalog. To the chagrin of players, though, Em’s bars are heavily censored, some to a hilarious degree. Fortnite fans wish radio censorship was an option for Eminem songs Fortnite-centric Twitter/X account iFireMonkey pointed out that Em’s return to the in-game radio involves lots of censorship. The users shared a short clip wherein Eminem’s ‘Godzilla’ song featuring Juice WRLD plays in the background. Of course, some of the rapper’s more colorful language had to be nixed. Thus, a lyric like “Motherf*****n’ finger…” comes out as “finger, finger.” But the real problem arises with the “prostate exam” lyric that follows the aforementioned line. Apparently, the word “prostate” isn’t allowed on Fortnite radio stations. So this bit of ‘Godzilla’ in Fortnite sounds like, “finger, finger… exam (exam).” Suffice it to say, Fortnite players are getting a kick out of Fortnite’s need to censor Eminem songs. Yet, many mention in response to the above post that it’d be nice if Epic gave players an option. “They gotta make censorship optional,” reads one comment. “NAH THEY BUTCHERED THE SONG (I understand it’s necessary for lil Timmy but please make censoring optional),” someone else wrote. Another person argued that only accounts for underage users should be restricted in this manner. “Just like the cosmetics, music censoring should only be for underage accounts.” While the latter suggestion sounds promising, things could get tricky with respect to previously established game rating parameters. Fortnite players looking to get their Slim Shady fix in-game may want to look up the actual tracks on their own time.

Epic Games respond to bizarre Fortnite editing bug – Dexerto
Epic Games respond to bizarre Fortnite editing bug Epic Games – FortniteA new editing bug has been discovered in the popular Battle Royale game Fortnite, and it could be detrimental enough to cost you a victory. Acknowledging the severity of the bug, Epic Games has issued a response. With update version 10.40.1, a new limited-time event was confirmed, Season X was extended, and a few minor tweaks were implemented. Unfortunately, it appears a major bug has slipped through the cracks however. While certainly not the first bug in the history of the competitive Battle Royale title, Fortnite has been hit with a new and surprising issue that drastically impacts rapid building. In an October 2 post on Reddit, user ‘Tomred95’ shared a newly discovered bug that massively impacts the rapid building and editing process. After editing a ceiling block in half, putting it back to full scale, and then looking away momentarily, the bug ensures that you’re no longer able to re-edit that ceiling piece until you look away once again. This bug could be hugely impactful to professional players and streamers alike, those who have mastered the hectic building and editing mechanics in Fortnite. Not being able to re-edit the roof of your structure in the heat of combat, could be enough to cost you the entire match under certain circumstances. An Epic Games Community Coordinator responded to the Reddit post in saying, “thanks for the video illustrating this! I’ll send this to our QA team for investigation.” The post was barely a few hours old by the time that Epic Games caught wind of the bug, so rest assured that the development team is on the ball and searching for a fix to the unexpected issue as soon as possible. The limited release ‘Out of Time’ event is set to launch on October 8 and will include end of season cosmetic rewards among XP gains aplenty. As a result, Season 11 has been held back slightly. Now expected to launch on throughout the week beginning October 14, you can keep up with all the latest right here.

Fortnite players think leaked Elder Scrolls collab will launch for free – Dexerto
Fortnite players think leaked Elder Scrolls collab will launch for free Epic Games, BethesdaNew details about Elder Scrolls Online have some Fortnite players thinking the leaked crossover between the two games could launch free. Late last month, reputable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared a screenshot of an encrypted file for the new Berserker Outfit. To the surprise of many, the outfit teased the eventual arrival of an Elder Scrolls Online crossover. Epic Games and Bethesda Softworks have yet to confirm that such a collaboration is in the works. But the leaked image certainly looked the part. Now yet another bit of information suggests Fortnite’s ESO content could become available in the near future at no cost. Fortnite fans think rumored Elder Scrolls collab will be free As spotted by ShiinaBR, a new update to the Epic Games Store reveals The Elder Scrolls Online will hit the platform on July 20 for free. This union between Epic and Bethesda Softworks lends more credence to the Fortnite Berserker leak. And the freebie part of the equation even has some fans wondering if Fortnite’s supposed ESO collab will also arrive in the Item Shop at no additional cost. When asked if they thought the Berserker skin would go live for free, ShiinaBR replied, “I guess so? Nothing is confirmed yet, but it seems very likely to me. Can’t confirm anything, though.” As is always the case, it’s best to take any and all speculation with a grain of salt. But if a Fortnite x Elder Scrolls Online crossover is indeed on the way, concrete details should go live sometime soon. Fortnite’s most recent brand crossover brought The Witcher’s Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg to the Island. Outside of the Elder Scrolls leaks, there’s no word on what else Epic may have up its sleeve in the near future.

Fortnite: How to get easy wins in Getaway LTM – Dexerto
Fortnite: How to get easy wins in Getaway LTM The new Getaway limited time mode is a great way to pick up wins in Fortnite Battle Royale, and this trick can help make your life even easier. Last seen in September 2018, the popular game mode is back – pitting 100 players against each other with four teams able to secure themselves a coveted Victory Royale. Players are tasked with collecting ‘the jewel’ from various points across the map before delivering the prize to a van to claim their win. Having the jewel in your possession slows you down significantly and your location is also revealed to enemy players on the minimap – making you a primary target. Therefore, building up to reach the van can be treacherous due to the wide variety of weapons currently available that are capable of destroying builds almost instantly. However, Reddit user u/TheRealestDiego found an extremely useful trick that can help you deliver the jewel safely without having to build. Using balloons, players are able to float up to the van and secure their victory without making themselves an easy target by building. Be aware, players with good aim might be able to pick you off in mid-air and your balloons can also by popped by enemy bullets. Nevertheless, this handy tip can help you secure plenty of wins before the LTM ends on March 19.

Fortnite players report earthquakes that hint at jungle biome rumors – Dexerto
Fortnite players report earthquakes that hint at jungle biome rumors Epic GamesFortnite players have encountered in-game earthquake events that suggest the jungle biome rumors may be accurate. Rumors about Fortnite’s supposed jungle biome began swirling a few weeks ago, thanks to a leak based on a datamined game file. The file most notably featured an asset labeled “MF_AsteriaCustomBiomes_Jungle,” leading many to believe that Chapter 4 Season 3 would introduce a new jungle area. While Epic Games remains silent on the matter, leaks and rumors about the new season continue to circulate. Now a specific in-game event has some Fortnite players thinking that an explorable jungle isn’t beyond the realm of possibility. Fortnite earthquakes hint that a jungle biome is incoming User AetherIke shared gameplay footage on Reddit that shows an earthquake shifting the Anvil Square location in Fortnite. In addition to tearing the ground apart, the earthquake event also produced vines that burst through the cracks. Other Redditors chimed in to say they’ve seen similar occurrences throughout the last week or so, which suggests Epic could be building up to something big. Some players posit that Fortnite’s random earthquake occurrences may serve as evidence that a jungle biome is indeed on the way. Wrote one person in the Reddit thread, “People thought it was the Volcano coming up, but the Vines seems to point toward a jungle Biome.” “Jungle biome incoming,” another player said in the comments, which are filled with similarly educated guesses. At the time of writing, the crew at Epic Games has yet to so much as tease the theme of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. The wait for concrete information shouldn’t last for long, however. Chapter 2 ends on June 9, meaning the third chapter should arrive shortly thereafter.

Fortnite earthquake to begin Season 8 looks more likely than ever – Dexerto
Fortnite earthquake to begin Season 8 looks more likely than ever Epic Games will have been planning the next big step for Fortnite for quite some time, but a new leak seems to have uncovered their plans and it looks highly likely that an earthquake is now imminent. Fortnite Season 7 has been a wild journey for players, with the removal of some previously popular locations to make way for a huge iceberg which came crashing into the map and the controversial addition of new weapons and vehicles. However, Epic look to going a step further with the upcoming season by preparing the arrival of an earthquake which could completely shake up Battle Royale mode – if the latest leaks are to be believed. Is an earthquake event going to kick off Fortnite Season 8? This time, though, a photo of a file labelled ‘Earthquake’ has been revealed on Twitter by FortTory – an account that often posts Fortnite leaks for the community to explore. The directory was found in the v7.30 content update files and could be an indication of what’s to come next in Fortnite Season 8. After all, they do fall in line with other leaks from dataminers which gave us an indication of an impending natural disaster on the game. Sounds for the Earthquake event! Via @PXLPAT_YT— FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) February 3, 2019 Another leaked piece of information, posted by the same account, features a short video package that seems to have several different earthquake sound effects as well. These include small, medium and large shake effects, which all could be used for tremors in Battle Royale. Whether or not these pieces of audio, or even the directory of files, are genuine remains to be seen. However, it does give fans more food for thought as they await the next big change for Season 8 and rivals other possibilities which have been reported of late, like Fortnite heading into space in the near future.

Fortnite Earthbending disabled after just one day due to projectile glitch – Dexerto
Fortnite Earthbending disabled after just one day due to projectile glitch Fortnite temporarily vaulted the Earthbending elemental Mythic ability due to a glitch involving the earth projectiles and how they interacted with building. Both Avatar: The Last Airbender and Fortnite fans are loving the recent Elements update, which added all four elements from The Last Airbender series as Mythics to the game, as well as new skins of the characters. However, the fun lasted only a short time before it was temporarily disabled. While the Airbenders, Waterbenders, and Firebenders are living it up, the Earthbenders will find their element locked away in the Fortnite vault due to a bug with the Earthbending projectile, literally throwing the elements out of balance. Earthbending element temporarily vaulted due to projectile glitch Less than 24 hours after Earthbending was added to the game as a Mythic, it was quickly vaulted due to a glitch where the earth projectile couldn’t be aimed correctly, and also wouldn’t be affected by player-made builds, destroying them on contact instead of damaging them. This led to significant inconsistency during encounters, as well as frustrating interactions between buildings and earthbenders. Earthbending has since been re-added to Fortnite, the glitch has been patched, and is now fully functioning as the Mythic ability originally intended to. So watch out for any flying rocks heading your way.

Fortnite Earthbending trick lets you rack up kills with an “instant ramp” – Dexerto
Fortnite Earthbending trick lets you rack up kills with an “instant ramp” Epic GamesFortnite’s Earthbending isn’t just useful for defense purposes; you can also use it to pull off this particular trick that helps eliminate enemies. The Earthbending mythic in Fortnite was introduced with the Avatar collab, allowing players to throw rock projectiles at enemies and create a rock wall. At least, that’s generally what the mythic item is intended for. It certainly didn’t take too long for players to come up with other creative ways to fully take advantage of this new talent. For example, you can use it to replace enemy builds, which can come in clutch during intense fights. On top of this, the mythic weapon can also be used to create an “instant ramp” and launch you into the air while riding a dirtbike, as one player had found out. To pull this off, quickly switch your weapon to Earthbending when riding a dirtbike, and then right-click to build a rock wall. The rock wall will then act as the “instant ramp,” launching the dirtbike into the air. In a clip showcased in a Reddit thread, the player used this trick to reposition themself and get a better view of the enemy before eliminating them with a different weapon. However, you could also choose to finish them off using Earthbending’s rock projectile — it’s entirely up to you. Though it’s worth keeping in mind that while this is a brilliant trick, the mythic weapon does have a cooldown. So, don’t expect to be able to spam right-click with Earthbending, thinking that you can constantly boost yourself up. Those keen to try this trick can head to Elemental Shrines to grab the Earthbending mythic. Just make sure you’ve at least picked up a gun and have a full shield beforehand, since these places generally attract a lot of people, including sweats. Also, if you’re struggling to pick up an item when there are so many people around you, you’ll want to know this cheesy trick to lock them up in an animation.

Fortnite leaks suggest a major change is coming to Dusty Divot – Dexerto
Fortnite leaks suggest a major change is coming to Dusty Divot New Fortnite leaks suggest that the game could be ready to fill up Dusty Divot with a healthy helping of lava soon. Throughout the life of Fortnite, the point of interest has gone through various changes, from Dusty Depot to Dusty Divot. But the leaks seem to point to Lava Lake coming soon. Players will remembers that it started off as an unnamed location before finally receiving the name Dusty Depot. It remained with that title for a while before a meteor laid waste to it and created Dusty Divot as we know it. Dusty Divot has undergone some minor changes since it was introduced but nothing quite like the rest of the map has done. Many locations have been switched around or removed entirely while the divot has stuck around. Well-known Fortnite leaker ‘lucas7yoshi’ has suggested a lava river from the new volcano point of interest could be heading towards Dusty Divot. wait wait wait Divot might flood with lava/stay lava filled after the event? I have no idea, odd theres new lab files https://t.co/d1daz8UmkF — Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite News & Leaks (@lucas7yoshi_) March 27, 2019 Images from a leaked event, called the Dopey event, show that Dusty Divot will eventually be filled up with lava and it looks like it has a chance to stay filled with lava until it hardens, opening the door for a brand new POI. Nearly every other location on the map has gone through some changes lately, making Dusty Divot a prime candidate for a face-lift since it was introduced back in Season 4. For the time being, these are all just leaks players should take the info with a grain of salt. Epic Games has not commented on the future of Dusty Divot and the leaked event has yet to be announced or officially mentioned. With that said, lucas7yoshi has had a good track record when it comes to leaks so it wouldn’t be completely surprising if this turned out to be true. The volcano hasn’t played too big of a role in Season 8 yet so we’re still waiting on seeing what Epic has in store for it.

Is Fortnite dying following the release of Apex Legends? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 65 – Dexerto
Is Fortnite dying following the release of Apex Legends? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 65 Epic Games / Respawn EntertainmentBattle royale fans have been flocking to Apex Legends since it released on February 4, leaving many to wonder if Fortnite has what it takes to survive the popularity of the new game. Fortnite Podcast hosts 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace examined the release of Apex Legends and how it fits into the bigger picture of Fortnite’s longevity, seeing how the former is picking up speed. Fortnite’s battle royale has been out since September 2017 and while many games in the same genre such as Realm Royale, Blackout and PUBG have failed to stand tall against the giant, Apex Legends looks to be doing just that. Apex Legends made a huge splash on the games market, and all signs point to it keeping that momentum. Although Apex Legends seems to be a major hit with players and audiences, the game looks and feels like if “Overwatch and Call of Duty had a baby.” Although that might sound and look appealing to players, the feel might be a bit too generic to sustain the hype. Read more: Epic Games announce last minute changes to Fortnite Secret Skirmish schedule and prize pool – That doesn’t mean to say that Fortnite players should renounce Apex Legends, as MonsterDFace believes that the game’s release is an terrific addition to the market. Apex Legends has such a different style and approach to a battle royale compared to Fortnite, it could be the “break” that a lot of players needed. Fortnite’s momentum has definitely stalled, but the game is too big and universal for it to just flat out die. MonsterDFace suggests that the younger audiences who have been a major contributing factor for Fortnite’s immense popularity won’t take to Apex Legends the same way they did with Fortnite. Respawn Entertainment’s new title has captured the eyes of many, but Fortnite has evolved into apparel, entire entertainment verticals (podcasts), professional sports celebration, locales for concerts, etc., so it disappearing might be out of the question. The style and approach Apex Legends takes is amazing and will keep it thriving for a long time, but the hosts don’t think that it will be enough to permanently topple Fortnite. The games should be relevant for a while, and the two can even coexist as improvements and innovations that Epic Games and Respawn Entertainment will undoubtedly add to their titles will work toward the people’s interests. Regardless of which game comes out on top in the end, all eyes in the gaming space will no doubt be on what is sure to be the most talked about battle in recent memory. Listen to 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace’s in-depth discussion in the podcast below and then tweet us @Dexerto to share your thoughts on the current state of Fortnite.

Fortnite: Dusty Depot changes teasing big Season 10 story – Dexerto
Fortnite: Dusty Depot changes teasing big Season 10 story Epic GamesFortnite fans have discovered that Dusty Depot is constantly changing in-game, and it seems to be building up to some bigger overhaul for Season X. The long-awaited Fortnite Season 10 was finally released on August 1, and while some fans may have been hoping for a brand new map – they were greeted with a few tweaks and the return of Dusty Depot. It appears as if more changes are in the works, with a Wild-West themed Tilted Town already having been leaked. Yet, despite that, there are subtle tweaks being made each and every day to Dusty Depot – and you might not have even noticed just how important they might turn out to be. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user 10shredder00, pointed out that since the V10.00 update, the area inside of, and surrounding the Dusty Depot warehouses has been changing. Of course, the game hasn’t had a new patch every day, so these changes are happening underneath players noses. 10shredder00 showed off their timelapse from August 2 to August 4, which you’ll have to watch a few times to notice every change. On August 2, there were significantly more boxes and scaffolding inside the warehouses on any other day. With the changes on August 3, fans could spot more boxes and changes outside – seemingly having those materials moved from their original locations. From August 4, however, it appears as if construction on something has begun inside the Grey warehouse, with almost all of the original elements being moved out and builders being moved in to complete some sort of structure. Of course, those aren’t the only changes happening to the classic point of interest – there’s another, seemingly story-building addition too. On August 3, some fans noted that a Telescope had appeared on the roof of the Grey warehouse, and it’s pointing directly at the suspended Meteor. What it’s looking for exactly, nobody is quite sure. Regardless, it appears as if Epic Games have something up their sleeve for Dusty Depot, and the point of interest might not be around in its original state for much longer. The next Fortnite patch, the v10.10 update, is expected on Thursday, August 8 – so we should get a few more map changes and just then, we might be able to figure out what it all means.

Fortnite duos vs squads PC world record beaten by players using controller – Dexerto
Fortnite duos vs squads PC world record beaten by players using controller The world record for eliminations in a duos vs squads setting in Fortnite Battle Royale has been beaten – by players using a controller on PC. In a victory for controller players, the record which was once held by streamers Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan, was bested by only a single kill. Ninja and Sypher’s record of 43 was first beaten by French players Nayte and Spk, who took the record to 46 eliminations total – but this has once again been surpassed. The duo of ‘ImClutchPlayz’ and ‘iMrSharpShooter’, both using an Xbox One controller on PC, have taken on the duos vs squads record challenge, and pipped the previous holders by a single elimination. The duo were in fact denied the chance to beat it by two kills, after one of the new Ice Legion monsters stole the final opponent away from them. Regardless, 47 was enough to take the record on PC – although the console record is still held at 48, by Larsinz and distncee. PC players with a keyboard and mouse might be encouraged to take this record on – in an attempt to prove that controller is the inferior way to play, but right now, these controller masters have them beaten. Fortnite Durrr Burger Mystery Continues as Agent Arrives Handing Out Phone Number – Dexerto
Fortnite Durrr Burger Mystery Continues as Agent Arrives Handing Out Phone Number The large real life ‘Durrr Burger’ Fortnite mystery has had another advancement as reports claim an ‘agent’ has appeared and is handing out business cards. In what appears to be an extravagant marketing ploy by Epic Games, a passerby, perhaps not so coincidentally, noticed a large real life recreation of the Durrr Burger sign from the Fortnite Battle Royale map. The sighting has sent fans of the game into a frenzy as they try to unravel the mystery that Epic Games is cooking up, likely in anticipation of the start of season five. Although Epic is still yet to claim any responsibility for the Durrr Burger sign, it is almost certainly their doing and the addition of this mysterious agent with business cards is further evidence still. More: FaZe Clan’s ‘Tfue’ and ‘Cloak’ Win the KEEMSTAR $20K ‘Friday Fortnite’ #9 Celebrity Tournament – Recap and Final Placements – There was also a recreation of the Fortnite style police car, which was also posted to social media before quickly going viral as fans noticed the connection. Another Twitter account, ran by someone living close to the site of the Durrr Burger sign and who travelled out to witness it themselves, posted the card they received. On the business card is a number which when phoned apparently a ‘weird wind noise’ can be heard and is very similar to the noise made by the cracking in the game from the new portals. Checked out the burger head in the desert. This is what was here guy gave me a card too. pic.twitter.com/NuMMGgDqbb — A2K K1Lo (@A2K_Kilo) July 7, 2018 The number itself is from Estherville, IA, and some of the more interested fans discovered that a meteor once hit Estherville in the 1800’s. There was speculation that the crash site of the meteor would be where the next major clue from Epic Games would be, but a fan claims they travelled out and saw nothing there.

Fortnite Duos PC world record for kills destroyed again, this time in Arena mode – June 2019 – Dexerto
Fortnite Duos PC world record for kills destroyed again, this time in Arena mode – June 2019 Two competitive Fortnite Battle Royale players have broken the world record for eliminations in a Duos match on PC. ‘Slastt’ of Team Synergy and 13-year-old free-agent ‘spook’ set the new record on June 23, just a mere nine days after the previous record had been set. They managed to put together a masterful 55 kill performance, eclipsing the previous record of 51 kills by a significant margin. In the match, Slastt managed to get 28 total eliminations, including the one that clinched them the Victory Royale, while his teammate, whose in-game name is Zitrn, got 27. Both players managed to stay alive until the end of the match, which likely played a large role in them managing to pencil their names into Fortnite history. Aside from the duo being able to secure the Victory Royale in addition to setting the new record, what made this achievement that much more impressive was the fact that they did in Arena mode. Being that Arena is Fortnite’s ranked mode, it usually attracts a lot more of the talented competitive players, with casual players of lesser skill often opting to play in the core default playlists. The match alone gave them 63 points in Arena, raising their total from 49 points at the start of the match to a whopping 112, although it’s clear that both of these players are good enough to eventually gain much more than that. You can check out the video footage of their full match below, cut to show every single elimination from both players’ screens. The previous record of 51 eliminations was set on June 14, and even that had come barely a month after the 48-kill record before it, which was set during May. However, both of those matches were played in the regular modes and not Arena, so there are certainly circumstances that make the current record different from the previous two. The 55-kill performance also currently stands as the most in a Duos match across all platforms, since the highest ever eliminations total on console is 46, set by popular streamer NICKMERCS and his Duo Nio back on January 30, 2018.

Fortnite Duos PC world record smashed yet again – June 2019 – Dexerto
Fortnite Duos PC world record smashed yet again – June 2019 Epic GamesThe world record for eliminations in Fortnite PC duos matches has finally been broken, four months after the previous record was set. The previous record of 48, set back in May, was an incredible accomplishment, seeing the team take down almost 50% of all the players in the lobby in one match, and seemed almost impossible to beat. With the marker laid down, duo Dankline and diddytheboy have absolutely crushed the challenge, taking down 51 players in a single match to claim their place at the top of the world rankings. For those who would like to see how the pair did it, diddytheboy uploaded the full 10 minute gameplay to YouTube, intersplicing gameplay from each player’s view to ensure that viewers can see every kill the duo found in this incredible game. The game’s Combat Shotgun was the weapon of choice for most of the kills found in this match, although the Burst SMG was also used to great effect by Darkline in the early portions of the match. The duo split up to ensure they could find the eliminations they needed, with diddytheboy heading to Salty Springs, while Dankline went straight to the always-busy Neo Tilted. What makes their incredible game even more impressive is the fact that diddytheboy was eliminated towards the end of the match, leaving Danklingin all alone against 6 other players, who he duly brushed aside to secure the Victory Royale. The pair were clearly happy to have set the world record, claiming that it was “nuts” while they laughed at the magnitude of their accomplishment. To the best of our knowledge, this match sends Dankline and diddytheboy straight to the top of the World Records, although a number of other records has higher kills, such as duos vs squads. You can check out all the records in our Fortnite World Record hub. We’re always looking for new world records, so if you think you have a gameplay that would knock this duo, or any other player, off of the top of the list, get in touch!

Fortnite duo vs squads world record has been broken on mobile – Dexerto
Fortnite duo vs squads world record has been broken on mobile Two French Fortnite players have broken the world record for duo vs squads on mobile, with an impressive 31 kills beating out the previous record of 28. The previous record, held by TheRealBnates and Spidspeed, had stood since May 15, but has now been taken over by three kills from the French duo of FataStar and KeaStarL. It is still a long way off the duo vs squad records for PC and Console, which are currently 40 and 43 respectively, but given the added difficulty of mobile controls, is an impressive feat nonetheless. It is also a long way off the total record for kills on mobile, which sits at 41 in a four man squad game, with only two players going up against full squads, 31 is a mighty achievement. The two players are members of the leading French mobile Fortnite team, ‘Star Team’, and are among some of the very best mobile players in the world. Unfortunately there is not a full video of the match, but FataStar did provide evidence of the record via a short clip on Twitter. Fortnite Duo vs Squad console World Record beaten by three kills – March 2019 – Dexerto
Fortnite Duo vs Squad console World Record beaten by three kills – March 2019 Epic GamesFortnite’s Duo vs Squad console World Record for most eliminations was broken on March 6, as Dizzle and Jacobbb put together a huge 51 kills together. As Fortnite grows even more popular and the average player’s skill level improves, it seems less and less likely that world records will be broken, with many still standing from as long ago as early 2018. One that stood from February 2018 was the previous Duo vs Squads on console, which stood at 48. However, as the end of March comes around, we’ve taken a look at the ones that need updating – notably Havoc (previously of Chronic) Dizzle and Jacobbb’s impressive display, racking up 27 kills and 24 kills respectively. Duo vs Squads includes two teammates dropping in and taking on a full lobby of fours, often with the two splitting up individually to maximise map coverage and the number of kills the duo can rack up. Hence, in the world record gameplay, after both players drop at Tilted Towers, they split off, and Dizzle heads north into Loot Lake and Jacob heads south towards Shifty Shafts. The duo survives a late game scare, as Jacob is knocked, but he is later revived and the two close out the game with 51 eliminations. Remember that you’re able to stay up to date with all the Fortnite elimination World Records for all platforms and formats, right here. The record tops off a month of impressive growth for both console superstars: Dizzle now sits at over 260,000 YouTube subs, whilst Jacobbb has also seen his following rise considerably, hitting 475,000 YouTube subscribers. The two continue to be some of the highest performing console players in the world, and, watching their gameplay, it’s clear why.

Fortnite duo vs squad world record has been broken on console – Dexerto
Fortnite duo vs squad world record has been broken on console Two console Fortnite players used the new cross-platform ability to set a new duo world record while playing on both Xbox One and PS4, beating the previous record by three kills. Just days after the record for duo vs squads on mobile was beaten, another Fortnite world record has been set, this time on console, also for duo vs squads. The previous duo vs squad console record was set by Toonnah and HaslamN, who both racked up 20 each, holding the 40 kill record since June. But their record has now been beaten, and beaten convincingly, as Xbox player JHawk (XBL: I3usty) and PS4 player EthanPlants (PSN: WhereYallBeenAt), have now managed 43 kills in a quads match. Their record means that both the PC and Console record for duo vs squads is the exact same, as PC players Teeqzy and Nokks also managed 43, back in June 2018. You can watch the full record breaking match from EthanPlants perspective below, as he racked up 20 of the 43 kills: There is also the end game from the perspective of his partner JHawk, who got the other 23 kills needed for the world record. This video also shows the final game ending screen, to verify the record. You can see a full list of updated Fortnite Battle Royale world records here, with evidence. Fortnite leak reveals new DUNE skins & cosmetics coming soon Epic Games/Warner Bros. PicturesA new Fortnite leak has revealed a set of DUNE cosmetics arriving in-game soon, including Paul Atreides and Chani skins, the Ornithopter glider, and the Twinblades. Over the years, Fortnite has garnered a reputation for its high-profile crossovers, collaborating with huge franchises to bring players a variety of new content and exclusive skins. Whether it’s Marvel, Street Fighter, and even Tomb Raider, it feels like Epic Games are always ready to jump on the latest trend and bring it to the Fortnite universe. Well, according to a new set of leaks, Epic has done exactly that, creating a new line of skins and cosmetics for one of the year’s most anticipated sci-fi films, DUNE. With two incredible character skins and a variety of other collectibles to pick up, these are definitely going to be worth checking out when they’re released in-game. First look at Fortnite’s DUNE collaboration Ahead of its release on October 22, DUNE has received an overwhelming amount of hype from cinemagoers and praise from critics, so it’s no surprise Epic has created a line of cosmetics for the film. As showcased by reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, the exclusive DUNE cosmetics will include Chani & Paul Atreides character skins, Chani’s Satchel, the Fremkit, the Sand Walk emote, the Ornithopter, The Stickworm loading screen, and the Maker Hooks & Twinblades pickaxes. It’s worth noting that there’s no official release for these collectibles, but as the film is in cinemas soon, we can expect these cosmetics to arrive in the near future. HYPEX even revealed how the DUNE cosmetics will appear in the shop, showcasing that a ‘DUNE Bundle’ and a ‘DUNE Gear Bundle’ will both be available. Fortnite players claim new update removes ability to drop Victory Crowns – Dexerto
Fortnite players claim new update removes ability to drop Victory Crowns Epic GamesReportedly, Fortnite players are no longer able to remove Victory crowns following the release of a new update. Epic Games added Crowns to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 1, providing players with a way to flex their victories and gain bonus XP. The unique item can be earned by those who achieve a Victory Royale. Picking up someone else’s dropped Crown constitutes another way for players to grab the golden-colored bragging right. Interestingly, anyone who possesses the item in a match becomes an easy target for their opponents. This explains why some people don’t like having Crowns in their inventory, and a new update may have complicated matters in this regard. Players can no longer drop their Victory Crowns in Fortnite Addressing the Fortnite subreddit, a user named Known_Focus_1065 said they’re no longer able to remove Crowns from their inventory. The player claims the issue likely arose following the release of Fortnite’s patch on June 20. Whether or not this is a weird glitch or a purposeful decision on Epic’s part is not yet known. Regardless of the why of it all, this particular revelation isn’t sitting well with dedicated Fortnite users. Many people are upset that they’ll no longer be able to drop Fortnite’s Victory Crowns for friends and other players. Meanwhile, others don’t like the idea of being forced to walk around with a target on their backs. One user lamented, “Having the crown is disadvantageous. I am slowly getting worse at close-range fights so I hide a lot. The crown flashes and gives you away.” A similar comment reads, “We usually drop ours because they make you an easier target, but we haven’t been winning anyway so it doesn’t matter lmao.” Mistake or not, here’s to hoping Epic Games clears the air about Victory Crowns sooner rather than later.

Fortnite drops cryptic hints at possible Aquaman crossover for Season 3 – Dexerto
Fortnite drops cryptic hints at possible Aquaman crossover for Season 3 Epic Games/DCEpic Games followed up The Device event on June 15 by also dropping a number of teasers on social media that could point to an underwater theme, and maybe even an Aquaman crossover event coming in Chapter 2 Season 3. The Device event happened just a few days before the start of Season 3 on June 17, and it gave fans plenty to talk about all on its own, but a few cryptic hints dropped by Epic afterward raise even more questions. First, after the event ended, the official Fortnite Twitter revealed an image that didn’t look like much at first glance. That was, until content creators and influencers shared what Epic had sent them and we got a better look. Once we saw the full image, it became clear that this was part of a golden trident, which looks very similar to the one used by Aquaman in the recent DC movies. Combined with the fact that that the Storm has now been turned into a massive tidal wave that players can swim through, and an Aquaman crossover event suddenly doesn’t seem too wild of an idea. Aquaman confirmed Fortnite season 3 🤩🤩 IMAGINE pic.twitter.com/dMiiOP5mpD — Ninja (@Ninja) June 15, 2020 Along with the potential for another superhero crossover, this aquatic theme from the event and the teaser images could mean some kind of underwater setting and theme could be coming with Season 3, when it arrives. We’ve already seen a completely snow-covered map in Fortnite, so one that seems to be underwater, but where regular movement is still allowed, might not be out of the range of possibility. Of course, it might not be that extreme, and Epic could just be adding more water to the map, maybe even splitting it up into separate islands. Yet another teaser was tweeter later on June 15, that appears to show a metallic asteroid/moon object covered in what looks like craters. While not aquatic itself, if you’ve watched Avatar you know that the moon does control the ocean’s tides. While all this is very interesting, it still doesn’t confirm what exactly we’ll be seeing in Season 3. Leakers have suggested that the map will be getting covered in water. But until we find out officially from Epic themselves on June 17, be sure to stay as dry as possible, because things might be getting a little soggy soon.

DrLupo hilariously trolls Ninja during Fornite game at Ninjawerks event – Dexerto
DrLupo hilariously trolls Ninja during Fornite game at Ninjawerks event Red Bull esports/DexertoTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was trying to do what he does best on Fortnite during the Ninjawerks event despite being trolled by friend Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo. The streamer, who has over 12 million followers on Twitch, was streaming from his Ninjawerks event in Los Angeles, with a rotating cast of characters that ranged from fellow streamers to rappers. He was deep into a duos game when he called over DrLupo and Tim ‘TimTheTatMan’ Betar to appear on stream. The pair, along with another friend – Paul – begin chirping at Ninja in a bid to throw him off his game. “You’re trash at this,” said Lupo, glued to Ninja’s screen. “This is bad. This is bad. This is Bad News Bears.” Nina called his pals over to show off his Quadcrasher skills, which he began to demonstrate after building a high ramp. After take off, Ninja started to perform backflips and other manoeuvres on the Quadcrasher – racking up a score just shy of 200,000 points. Read More: Fortnite: The first Season 7 teaser has been released and a snow map looks more likely than ever – However, his skills showcase quickly came to an end when DrLupo pressed the eject button on Ninja’s keyboard, forcing the streamer to fall to his death – much to the enjoyment of the three men behind him. “You gotta be kidding me!” cries out Ninja, dismayed at what his pals have done to him. His misery didn’t end there as Lupo continued to chirp him, asking: “Why did you jump off? You can’t do that.” After leaving the game, Ninja turned to Lupo and stated: “I hate you so much dude. We were on a winning streak!” Lupo’s mockery of Ninja didn’t end there, however. After the event, he took to Twitter, tweeting: “Redeploy isn’t in the game, @Ninja, why did you jump out of that quad.” Redeploy isn’t in the game, @Ninja, why did you jump out of that quad — DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 3, 2018 Ninja simply responded: “I hate you.”

Fortnite Drill Site Scans are the new favorite way of revealing enemies – Dexerto
Fortnite Drill Site Scans are the new favorite way of revealing enemies Epic GamesFortnite players are loving Chapter 3’s Drill Site Scans that have replaced the Flare Gun as people’s new favorite way of revealing opponents. Epic Games have been adding new elements to their battle royale and the v19.10 update was no exception. The addition of the monstrous Klombos wasn’t even the only highlight, as the devs reintroduced Tilted Towers to the island. Amid the chaos that the fan-favorite POI reintroduced, people are starting to appreciate the Drill Sites across Fortnite that can reveal players across a huge zone. Though there aren’t many in the game, these Drill Sites have tools players can use to scan the area around them, becoming invaluable options in their arsenal. Fortnite Drill Site scans Fortnite players are familiar with different weapons that can give a decent scan, but the IO drill sites have a way to thoroughly skim nearby terrain. To find an IO drill site, simply head over to POIs like Logjam Lumberyard and find the computer to begin scanning. Another drill site has appeared after the v19.10 patch, located northeast of Sleepy Sound, complete with a machine to scan the area. After activating it, Fortnite players will be met with a screen littered with icons for nearby chests and items. According to Fortnite leakers, a total of five drill sites are going to come to the Fortnite island as Epic advance the chapter’s story. Aside from any narrative tie-ins, these drill site scans are something the fan base would like to see more of in the future. Over time during v19.01 we will see drillholes appear on the Fortnite map. pic.twitter.com/Vki2lad5FB — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) December 14, 2021 “Has anyone noticed this new device on IO drill sites,” one use said. “It’s basically a flare gun with a one minute cooldown with a larger radius. I think it’s actually a pretty cool addition IMO.” Who knows what Epic are ultimately planning for the drill sites, but Fortnite players are making use of the new scanning machines to get a leg up in the battle royale.

Fortnite drama reignites as Aqua caught dissing former duo FaZe Mongraal – Dexerto
Fortnite drama reignites as Aqua caught dissing former duo FaZe Mongraal FaZe Clan / Epic GamesNew Fortnite beef has ignited between 2019 World Cup duos champion Aqua and FaZe Clan member Mongraal, with the former calling out the latter — before backtracking once he realized someone was streaming Aqua and Mongraal duo’d for a brief time in 2020, playing in Contender Cash Cups and other tournaments in May before quickly splitting. However, there still appears to be some bad blood between the two. Sitting in a call on September 14, Aqua was chatting with some mates about the state of Fortnite. Once the topic of Mongraal was brought up though, Aqua started lashing out at his former duo. “Oh shut up I just didn’t want to play with Mongraal, he’s sh*t. I don’t care anymore, he triggered me,” he said. Then, one of the streamers he was on call with said they were live, and Aqua immediately tried to backtrack. He pleaded for them to delete the VOD and restart stream, but the damage was already done. It’s always behind your back in a friend group, never to you directly in call. I haven’t been in a friend group for over 3 months because it’s all the same shit.” https://twitter.com/Mongraal/status/1437891483819036675 Chapix and JannisZ, who were in lobby together on the viral clip, also had a dispute on Twitter. “The Fortnite community has always been like this. Everyone sh*t talks each other and when they are in the same call they act friendly like who cares. We are all trying to play this game to earn money, it’s business not friendship or anything,” Chapix said. “Nah you don’t say that behind backs,” JannisZ retorted. Even the FaZe Clan account got in on the action, tweeting out the iconic “dance b*tch dance” clip from FNCS Trios back in 2019. As FNCS Chapter 2 Season 8 approaches, you can expect this rivalry to keep heating up.

New Fortnite Creative Prop hints at future Dragon Ball Z crossover – Dexerto
New Fortnite Creative Prop hints at future Dragon Ball Z crossover FunimationFortnite Version 21.20 added what appears to be a Dragon Ball Z-themed Creative Prop, which suggests the two brands could crossover in the near future. Epic Games continues to impress with its brand crossovers for Fortnite, having previously deployed items and cosmetics from DC, Marvel, and various video game franchises. Anime collaborations crop up every so often as well, the most recent of which went live in June with Naruto Rivals. Notably, the Naruto-branded content introduced Outfits for Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata Hyuga. Back Blings and other Team 7-inspired items also joined the game via the Rivals collaboration. Epic’s latest update to the battle royale hints that another beloved anime IP will soon hit the Island, too. Dragon Ball Z x Fortnite is potentially in the works Following the release of Update 21.20, notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX stumbled across a new Creative Stamina Prop. Interestingly, the shape of the prop and its logo bear a lot in common with iconography attached to Dragon Ball Z’s in-universe Capsule Corp company. HYPEX additionally called attention to the outline of the Capsule Corp-like prop, which looks similar to outlines featured on Fortnite’s other anime cosmetics. In a subsequent Twitter post, the leaker (via Creeperbrine102) posited the supposed DBZ crossover could arrive in August. This seems likely considering the August 19 release date of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in territories such as North America, South Africa, and the UK. POSSIBLE DRAGON BALL Z x FORTNITE COLLAB! Epic added a new Creative Stamina Prop this update that looks exactly like Capsule Corp from DBZ, and this prop also has outlines like the anime cosmetics! pic.twitter.com/0CANUPqU4y — HYPEX (@HYPEX) July 6, 2022 The Fortnite x Dragon Ball Z collab could happen around early August as the new movie releases on August 19th in the US & Canada. For now, then, players would do well to take the above with a grain of salt. Fortnite Version 21.20 unleashed a whole host of other content, including an Indiana Jones skin and the Shuffled Shrines POI.

Fortnite Doomsday event countdown and new details leaked Epic GamesThe end of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is fast approaching, and new event details have been leaked, bringing another layer of excitement to the introduction of the new season. The event has been referred to as “Doomsday” and could have big repercussions for the future. One thing that Fortnite does better than almost any other game is events. We’ve seen the likes of Marshmello and Travis Scott perform concerts in-game, battles between mythical beasts and the infamous black hole event, which sucked the entire map into a big black hole for days to bring in Chapter 2. Now, players are anticipating the Doomsday event, and new details may have just surfaced regarding the event. What is the Doomsday event? There has been no official confirmation of what the Doomsday event is going to be, but thanks to new updates from well-respected data-miner and leaker HYPEX, we’ve seen that the event might be called “Fritter”. Though this doesn’t give much away, one definition of ‘fritter’ is to “divide something into small pieces,” which could suggest that the map is going to be split or destroyed, completely changing how it looks and is played. Of course, all we have right now are theories, but we shouldn’t have to wait too long before Epic Games’ plan for the event becomes clearer. Some new event/doomsday device files got added, they are all under the name “”Fritter”

Fortnite: Dr DisRespect vows to get “8 kills minimum” in a match but hilariously dies right at the start – Dexerto
Fortnite: Dr DisRespect vows to get “8 kills minimum” in a match but hilariously dies right at the start Popular Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect is notorious for predicting that he will get a certain number of eliminations and/or a victory prior to starting off a battle royale match, whether it’d be Fortnite, PUBG, or Call of Duty’s Blackout. However, often times those predictions do not come to fruition, and instead the Doc gets eliminated almost right off the rip in some hilarious fashion. The latest example of this was when he was streaming Fortnite live on his channel on December 26, playing with his in-game partner ‘TheWiggyWombat.’ As the pair dropped out of the Battle Bus and down to Retail Row, the Doc made this proclamation: “If we don’t come out of here with eight kills total, I’m not going to be happy.” Read More: CouRage hilariously loses his mind as he tries FaZe Cizzorz’s famous ‘Death Run’ obstacle course – He went as far as to say that he might get the bulk of their combined eight kills, maybe even get six while his teammate got two. The Doc, spotting a Mounted Turret lying around, decided to land on top of one of the blacktop retail stores, his plan being to rip enemy players with the turret. However, despite picking up the item and deploying it onto the roof’s surface, another player managed to hop into it ahead of him and proceeded to gun him down. As the video reveals, the Doc did not get the six eliminations he had foreseen and his team did not finish with eight. Instead, he left the match almost immediately after landing, knowing he had just let a huge opportunity hilariously slip through his fingers in the shape of the Mounted Turret. It would not come as a shock if what happened to him in that match results in him taking another extended break from Fortnite. He has previously deleted the game from his PC numerous times, vowing to never stream or play it again, only to succumb to its allure and come back time after time.

Fortnite players flood Donald Mustard with messages as he leaves Epic Games – Dexerto
Fortnite players flood Donald Mustard with messages as he leaves Epic Games Epic GamesFortnite boss Donald Mustard is retiring from his role at Epic Games, so fans of the battle royale are bidding him farewell. Donald Mustard joined Epic Games in 2008 after the publisher purchased the Chair Entertainment studio he co-founded. While Chair became best known for the acclaimed Shadow Complex and Infinity Blade titles, it eventually went silent. The studio released its last game, PC and mobile adventure Battle Breakers, in 2018. But by that point, Mustard had eased into a new role, given that he was appointed Chief Creative Officer at Epic. On this path, the industry veteran helped Epic turn Fortnite into a lucrative powerhouse, leading the game’s storytelling efforts and more. Mustard’s decided to hang up that particular hat, though. Fortnite boss Donald Mustard announces his Epic exit On September 8, Donald Mustard revealed he’ll soon depart Epic Games after serving as CCO for seven years. He shared the news on his personal Twitter page in a lengthy farewell message. Mustard began his message with the following, “After an incredible adventure, I will be retiring from my role as Chief Creative Officer at Epic this month.” On his Fortnite tenure, he wrote in part: “I am especially proud of the opportunity I’ve had to help create and shape Fortnite.” Donald Mustard’s announcement offers no insight as to what lies ahead for him career-wise after he officially exits Epic Games. But it’s clear he has the full support of Fortnite fans, many of whom shared well wishes in the Twitter thread. Content creator DomTheBomb wrote, “Changed the gaming landscape forever congrats on retiring.” Further down the thread, a post from another fan reads, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for this community, Donald. You will be deeply missed, see you back at the battle bus. Enjoy your time with family.” Fortnite content creator Immature added to the chorus of goodbyes, as well. “LEGEND! Appreciate what you have done with Fortnite and excited to see what the next chapter brings!” Mustard’s announcement comes just two weeks after Fortnite entered Chapter 4 Season 4.

Fortnite Doggus event: Robot, Cattus battle, leaks, everything we know – Dexerto
Fortnite Doggus event: Robot, Cattus battle, leaks, everything we know Reddit: DaegosThe conclusion to Fortnite Season 9 looks to be in the works with files being uncovered regarding a new Doggus event. Here’s everything we know so far about Epic Games’ upcoming creation, including some interesting changes at Pressure Plant. The Epic Games team might currently be on their summer break, but that doesn’t mean that they have left the battle royale title dormant and without new content. The 14 Days of Summer event might be in full swing, but it’s another new thing that has caught the attention of fans. Some big changes to the map have started to unfold and if you haven’t got an idea of what ‘Doggus’ means just yet, don’t worry, here’s everything we know so far about the strangely named event. Pressure Plant construction Back on June 25, game files were uncovered that showed that the Pressure Plant location was set for a change – with something waiting underneath. Some fans theorized that the previously escaped Cattus monster was going to rise up, although a different outcome has been revealed. As of July 1, players can now see that the construction of a huge Robot taking place. Two feet are already in place for everybody to see, with one leg yet to be built – as the new giant is set to take some time before being completed. Fortnite v9.30 content update shows new developments (July 4) For those crossing their fingers for an almighty brawl between a robot and monster sometime in the future, the third v9.30 content update might go some way in suggesting it could happen. There has been further developments at the Pressure Plant location and, as suggested by dataminers, whatever Doggus turns out to be, it’s more than certainly being built fast. Players visiting the popular point of interest, which was formerly a volcano, will notice that huge pieces of metal scaffolding has appeared around the project and it’s bigger, too. A new function for drones has been discovered as well, with Fortnite fan @takecontrolz noticing that they’re now helping to build the robot. For those who aren’t aware, usually these drones would appear at one or two locations every match, and shooting them down results in them dropping valuable loot. As far as many were concerned, that was there only function – but apparently not! Torso added to robot! (July 8) Just four days after the last major addition to the robot, a torso has now been assembled and added to the design – showing just how big this thing is going to be when it’s completed. With drones hard at work bringing the Doggus machine up to speed, and a recent absence of movement from the Cattus monster, it may be just a matter of time before the two collide. It’s almost complete! (July 11) Players dropping at Pressure Plant might have noticed that the giant robot is, dare we say it, almost operational. New parts have been added to its design, including the right bicep and left forearm, marking its sixth phase of development. It’s now only a matter of time before the face is revealed for all to see – with leakers claiming there’s just two more phases to go! Until then, check it out. How long will the robot take to build? There has been no date revealed for when the Doggus robot will be completed. However, progress has been quick so far and it already looks like Epic has decided how it will be built. Popular Fortnite leaker FortTory revealed unencrypted files that showed the stages in which the robot would be built. Those files didn’t show when the head would be attached, though. Presumably, that will mark the final stage of its development. FortTory also speculated that the head could be added in the last update of season 9. Yet, that is purely a theory at this stage. Current ”Robot” Stages in the files! Stage 2: Calf Left Stage 3: Calf Right Stage 4: Thigh Left Stage 5: Torso Stage 6: Bicep Left Stage 7: Bicep Right Stage 8: Forearm Left— FortTory :island: – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) June 30, 2019 Will there be a Doggus vs Cattus battle? After the Cattus monster was revealed back on May 22, speculation grew about some sort of monster ravaging the Fortnite map and leaving players trembling in its wake. It looks as if the Doggus robot will be its foe for the end of season 9 and that they might duke it out in some sort of battle before the launch of season 10. While the event might only be in its early stages, a fight between the two isn’t completely out of the question as Epic does like to implement spectacular cinematic events to close out a season. Countdown spotted on Fortnite map (July 13) The date has been set! Fortnite fans finally have information as to when the end of season event will take place after various countdowns appeared on the Fortnite map. The timer is present above all of the sky platforms scattered across the Fortnite landscape, leading to speculation that players will be forced to watch the event from above. We are now able to confirm that the event will take place on July 20 at 3:00 pm EST. It’s likely it will be similar to the previous events where players will be safe from elimination for a limited period of time. The countdown for the event has started….. Fortnite dominates Twitch with over 3 million viewers during Eminem live event – Dexerto
Fortnite dominates Twitch with over 3 million viewers during Eminem live event Epic GamesFortnite is once again dominating Twitch, all thanks to its groundbreaking live event headlined by rapper Eminem. Chapter 4 of Fortnite came to an end in the grandest way possible, with countless players experiencing the “Big Bang” event live in-game. The “overwhelming attendance” led to a number of hiccups, however, and many players were forced to turn to their favorite streamers to catch all of the action. And that seemed to be the preferred way of watching for many, as the live event dominated Twitch with 3,291,525 peak viewers on the platform, according to SullyGnome. The live event waved goodbye to the incredibly successful OG map and introduced many new gameplay features, modes, and more. It all began with the complete destruction of the OG map as players were whisked away into the Fortnite multiverse. New game modes were then unveiled, including the all-new LEGO mode, which will transform players into LEGO characters in a blocky universe on a new Battle Royale map. A new Rocket Racing mode was also introduced as Fortnite teams up with Psyonix’s Rocket League for high-speed races using Rocket League vehicles. But the highlight of the event for many was the interactive Fortnite Festival mode in which players could spectate a live Eminem concert. Players engaged in rhythm-based gameplay, similar to Guitar Hero, while enjoying Eminem’s performances, including hits like “Lose Yourself” and “Godzilla.” With millions of fans flocking to streaming platforms to watch all of the action unfold, popular streamers witnessed a significant increase in viewership. One streamer who benefited from the increased viewership was Ninja, who later shared that his live event stream reached 579,780 peak viewership with more than 4.3 million total views and 2.1 million unique viewers. Now, players and Fortnite fans can look forward to yet another in-game concert as The Weeknd is set to appear on December 9.

Fortnite Map Changes: Doggus robot looks ready for battle after v9.40 update, Volcano is disappearing – Dexerto
Fortnite Map Changes: Doggus robot looks ready for battle after v9.40 update, Volcano is disappearing Fortnite Battle Royale players will be shocked to see the drastic new changes to the Doggus robot at Pressure Plant, as it now looks fully operational and ready for battle. Season 9 has been largely shaped around an underlying storyline of a huge monster that used to lurk underneath the Polar Peak location, but eventually escaped and started to destroy parts of the map. As the updates have continually been added during the season, fans have noticed that the island appears to be creating its own defence mechanism to protect itself, should the Cattus monster choose to attack again. After being spotted on the coast of the island for the first time in weeks on July 16, the development of a huge robot at Pressure Plant has been turned up a notch, with even drones helping bring it together, piece by piece. In fact, a huge timer has even appeared in Fortnite which, many would assume, will be counting down towards a the start of the Doggus vs. Cattus event – a battle between machine and beast. Now, with so much speculation slating the two behemoths for a monumental clash to kick off Season 10, the robot not only has its arms, legs and torso in place, but following the v9.40 content update a head has also been added. Finally we can see what’s waiting for the monster, should it ever return. The design of its arms differ from one another, with the right side seemingly taking inspiration from a dinosaur or dragon of some sort. In general, it’s starting to look more like a giant toy robot built with whatever pieces the island can find. Fortnite V9.40 map changes This isn’t the only change, however, but it’s certainly what fans want to see. Aside from that, there have also been a number of other tweaks to the Fortnite map that are worth noting. Volcano Well, calling it a volcano these days is pretty outdated. It might have been home to pools of molten lava in Season 8 and even Season 9 for some parts, but it has all been grassed over with the new patch. As the map shows below, there’s still some lava at the front of what used to be the volcano’s opening, but how long that will stay in place remains to be seen. 600This article will be updated with even more changes in due course. Until then, stick with Dexerto for all of the biggest Fortnite stories as we approach the climax of Season 9.

Fortnite Doggus Event: Giant robot set to fly in Cattus battle to end Season 9 – Dexerto
Fortnite Doggus Event: Giant robot set to fly in Cattus battle to end Season 9 Fortnite fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming end of season 9 event, with the latest development suggesting the battle between Cattus and Doggus could take to the skies. Speculation has been rife in recent weeks after Epic Games left numerous hints around the Fortnite map which indicated that a massive end of season battle would go down between two monstrous creatures. The monster from under Polar Peak, named ‘Cattus’, has been circling the map in recent weeks, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. As a result, a giant robot is being constructed at Pressure Plant, named ‘Doggus’, presumably to put an end to the reign of terror. A countdown has given fans the exact date and time that the event will take place, but another surprising development has given the story yet another twist, as wings were added to the robot at Pressure Plant. Machines have worked around the clock to construct the huge metal soldier, with two large wings now present on it’s back, suggesting the fight might take to the sky. It’s fairly safe to assume that the wings might have been added to counter the abilities of the Cattus monster, who may also be able to launch into the air if necessary. Given all of the countdowns have appeared over the sky platforms around the map, players may be forced to watch from above and will be given a fantastic view if the fight does transition into an aerial duel. The event will officially take place on Saturday 20 July at 3:00 PM EST meaning time is running out for the robot to be fully constructed. With the final few pieces yet to be revealed, there may be another surprise waiting around the corner.

Fortnite leak claims Marvel supervillain will finally return in Season 4 – Dexerto
Fortnite leak claims Marvel supervillain will finally return in Season 4 Marvel ComicsMarvel’s Doctor Doom has not appeared in Fortnite since 2020, but a new leak suggests the villain will return for the next Battle Pass. Dr. Victor von Doom originally made his Fortnite debut at the start of Chapter 2 Season 4 in August 2020. While the supervillain hasn’t resurfaced in the years since then, leaked details indicate that will soon change. According to reputable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, Doctor Doom may rise again in Chapter 5 Season 4 as part of a Marvel-themed Battle Pass. Leaker Wensoing first noticed that a skin codenamed “AnglePatch” surfaced a few days ago, likely hinting at the villain’s reintroduction to Fortnite. “This skin has a codename scheme used specifically for Battle Pass skins,” ShiinaBR further explained. Epic Games has yet to formally unveil what players can expect from the Chapter 5 Season 4 theme. However, for the past several months, rumors and leaks have pointed to Marvel-related content sitting center stage. A roadmap leak from April claimed a Marvel-themed season would go live in August 2024. This same leak also prematurely unveiled the since-confirmed Billie Eilish skin, Metallica collab, and currently running Pirates of the Caribbean crossover. Other noteworthy rumors claim Doctor Doom does not count as the only Marvel villain making his way to Fortnite later in the summer. In May, NPCs and conversations added to the 29.40 patch seemingly teased the return of Galactus, yet another Marvel character who has been MIA in Fortnite since 2020. Fortunately, Fortnite faithful will receive more concrete information in the coming weeks, given that Chapter 5 Season 3 ends on August 16 – the same day Season 4 is set to kick off in full.

Fortnite players discover insane glitch with new Baller vehicle – Dexerto
Fortnite players discover insane glitch with new Baller vehicle Epic GamesFortnite fans have been having a blast with the game’s latest vehicle, The Baller – but some players have found a glitch that sends them to new heights in the game. The Baller was introduced in the game’s 8.10 patch on March 12, and is a single-seated vehicle with a grappler attached to its outer shell. Though the attachment was meant for extra mobility, it’s letting some players travel outside the map. Twitch streamer Timthetatman posted a clip that showed him using the volcano in tandem with the Baller to launch himself skyward, but he wasn’t expecting to break Newton’s third law of motion. After launching himself ridiculously high in the Baller, Tim suddenly noticed he wasn’t coming back down. Instead, his character found a new home in the sky. Read more: Fortnite Season 8 Week 3 challenges and how to complete them – Magnifying Glass, Cacti and more – “Bro, I’m out of the map right now,” Tim said in astonishment. “What happens if you do this…” Tim then exited the vehicle and used his Glider Redeploy to experiment with the bizarre new bug. After he saw no change, he began to wonder if he had developed a new strategy, saying, “This is the new strat. I’m above the map, not moving. This is it. New meta, Chat. Who needs a skybase when you have this.” The glitch still let him drift toward the closing zone, but after about three minutes of idling, he finally started to descend onto the map. It’s unknown if the glitch can be reproduced, but Tim thought that if it wasn’t for him moving around while stuck, he could have possibly stayed there until the end of the game.

Where to find the Dial A Drop in Fortnite The Dial A Drop is now part of the regular loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, which means you’ll need to search through Chests or keep an eye on floor loot if you want to find one. It’s a rare item, so you probably won’t find one in every match, but you can increase your chances by visiting locations with plenty of Chests like Cloudy Condos, Tilted Towers, and Shiny Sound. How to use the Dial A Drop in Fortnite With the Dial A Drop in hand, you can choose between the following three drops: Standard: Spawns a regular Supply Drop with a mix of weapons and healing items. – Healing: Spawns a Supply Drop with items to boost your Health and Shield. – Vehicle: Spawns a pickup truck equipped with a Cow Catcher and Off-Road Tires. – The Standard Supply Drop will be the best option for most scenarios as it features a variety of items and is the only one that has the potential to include some high-tier weapons. Of course, there are situations where you might choose differently; if you’re low on health then a Healing Supply Drop is best, or if you need to get to the other side of the island a Vehicle would be a good idea. That’s everything you need to know about the Dial A Drop! Why Fortnite has already disabled Zapper Traps – Dexerto
Why Fortnite has already disabled Zapper Traps Epic GamesEpic Games have decided to remove the newest item added to Fortnite Battle Royale, the Zapper Trap, and it’s got to be feeling like deja vu for some players. The new trap item was added to the popular battle royale game on September 3, meaning that all within the space of 24 hours the developers had teased, released and disabled their newest feature – something that’s been a recurring theme throughout Season 10 so far. Fortnite fans only have to cast their minds back to the initial v10.10 patch, which went live on August 20, where Glitched Consumables were added and partially disabled all in the same day. Just two weeks after that, the Zapper Trap has suffered the same fate. The news was confirmed by the official Fortnite Twitter account on September 3, as developers are investigating a problem. “As we investigate the issue kicking players from matches, we have temporarily disabled the Zapper Trap,” they tweeted. The statement suggests that players are having trouble staying in matches, but it’s unclear to what was specifically wrong with the trap itself. Yet, it has been removed promptly. As we investigate the issue kicking players from matches, we have temporarily disabled the Zapper Trap. We will provide an update when the Zapper Trap is re-enabled. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) September 3, 2019 Epic Games have confirmed that they will be keeping the game’s online community updated on the situation, but as of the time of writing the trap has been removed. For those who didn’t even have the chance to use the item, it was basically an electric trap that could be thrown onto structures. Once it had connected to materials, it snaps into place and shocks enemy players nearby – and looked very powerful based on its reveal trailer, as seen below. In terms of when we can expect to see the Zapper Trap reinstated, that very much remains to be seen. As noted earlier, though, we can expect further updates in the near future on the matter.

Fortnite devs respond to Season 3’s bizarre disappearing whirlpools – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to Season 3’s bizarre disappearing whirlpools Epic Games/Reddit: u/VrixxEpic Games have responded to a bizarre Fortnite Season 3 glitch that sees the game’s whirlpools randomly disappearing. Fortnite Chapter 2, among many other things, introduced whirlpools to the immensely popular building battle royale. The whirlpools are essentially transportation devices for players, akin to the rifts we’ve seen in past seasons. Recent weeks have seen players experience a host of glitches with the whirlpools. A no-damage glitch affected a few players, leading to swift adjustments from Epic Games. However, a new glitch focuses on the whirlpools themselves, seeing them disappear at seemingly random intervals. On July 4, one Redditor shared an image of an absent whirlpool in Fortnite, leading to confusion among players as to whether Epic have removed them. However, the devs quickly responded to clarify the matter. “We’re investigating this,” Epic responded. “Trello card is up here.” The Trello card is now on Fortnite’s Trello board, stating that the battle royale developers are investigating “reports of intermittent disappearance of whirlpools in Arena/custom matches”. The issue is still marked as being investigated, meaning players may have to wait slightly longer for a fix. Comment by from discussion inFortniteCompetitive Fortnite has become known for regular patches and updates, so it seems likely that the problem and a fix will be identified in the coming weeks. It’s certainly a frustrating bug, with Arena mode acting as a competitive environment for a lot of players. The glitch, some Reddit users explain, has forced them and other players to waste materials climbing waterfalls instead of using the working whirlpools. Many Redditors also praised the swift reply from Epic, as they strive to keep Fortnite Chapter Two’s third season as bug free as possible.

Fortnite devs teasing return of Kevin the Cube yet again – Dexerto
Fortnite devs teasing return of Kevin the Cube yet again Epic GamesDonald Mustard, Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, has, yet again, teased the return of the infamous and mysterious Kevin the Cube in Fortnite Chapter Two. Fortnite’s first couple of years revolutionised online video games. The shift to seasonal content, weekly updates, challenges, and mind-bending in-game events has left its legacy on many other games, including Warzone and Apex Legends. While the game is not as popular as it once was, it still has millions of players who look forward to its new content and ambitious crossovers. One of the major narrative devices in Fortnite’s first chapter was Kevin the Cube, a mysterious object which originally appeared outside Paradise Palms in Season 5. It then returned in Season 6 and Season X (with the Floating Island), before vanishing for good. There have, though, been hints that Kevin is still present in Chapter Two. The company present at the power plant, for example, is called Kevolution Energy – hinting that Kevin is the mysterious power behind the POI. We now have a more concrete hint at Kevin’s return, thanks to Fortnite’s Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard. On August 7, the dev tweeted: “They see me rollin’ pt 2.” While there was no explicit reference to Kevin, the lyrics from Chamillionaire’s 2009 hit ‘Ridin” were used as a backdrop to Kevin’s travels around the map in Chapter 1. https://twitter.com/DonaldMustard/status/1424179408391135234?s=20 The return of Kevin does seem to be the only explanation for Mustard’s tweets, with a number of prominent Fortnite voices, including leaker HYPEX, taking it as confirmation that the mysterious cube will be back on the map soon. Although no date is set in stone, we expect Fortnite Chapter Two: Season 8 to drop around September 13, which also could be when Kevin makes his return to Fortnite. Only time will tell the havoc he wreaks on its environment this time, and what he has to do with the disappearance of Glyph Master Raz.

Fortnite devs respond to frustrating glitch making Chug Jugs unusable – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to frustrating glitch making Chug Jugs unusable Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale players have noticed a very strange glitch concerning Chug Jugs in-game, claiming that it’s actually impossible to pick them up after finding them. Those who drop from the Battle Bus on a regular basis will know that these healing items are quite hard to come by, and don’t spawn too often. That being said, when they are found, they aren’t working as they should. These issues have been posted online quite frequently during Season 3, and now Epic Games have confirmed not only is there a problem, but they are going to address it soon. [jwplayer 1IFYfpxn] On July 7, Reddit user xXinsert-name-hereXx posted an image of the item, and said: “Anyone having an issue of not being able to pick up the Chug Jug?” For many members of the community, they probably expected this to be something on their end causing the problem such as lag, but it turns out that this is more widespread than it might seem. In response to that, a Fortnite developer said: “We’re aware of this issue and are investigating. We’ve put up a Trello card for this.” Since that time, there has been a card added to the official Fortnite Trello card, which is a useful resource for any fan of the battle royale title to check out regularly. Here, developers monitor and post about current in-game issues on a regular basis, as well as posting when they have been resolved. Inside the card is more clarity on the specific issue as well. It states: “Players may be unable to pick up Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug while it’s recharging if it was dropped by another player. In this situation, they’ll get the “Backpack Full!” message even if they have an open inventory slot.” So, that explains why some people are having trouble with them. In terms of other known issues in the game, devs have noted things like gliders not working properly near The Authority POI, replays not saving on PlayStation 4, and more. Hopefully, they will all be fixed in the near future.

Fortnite devs respond to claims Lazy Lake’s Floating Rings are missing – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to claims Lazy Lake’s Floating Rings are missing Epic GamesSome Fortnite players have reported the Floating Rings at Lazy Lake have disappeared, making it impossible to complete a Week 3 challenge. Epic is aware of the issue, and are working on a fix. Floating Rings have appeared above Lazy Lake in Fortnite recently. They aren’t just there for show — they are key for completing a challenge in Week 3 of the Season 3 battle pass. However, for some players, they have been non-existent. Players have reported the rings glitching out and not appearing around Lazy Lake in any of the positions they should be. This, obviously, has put players in a pickle in completing this week’s challenges. It’s worth 35,000 XP, which may not seem like a lot, but given how much of a grind the later stages of the battle pass is, it all adds up. Thankfully, it’s not a case of the Rings not spawning in some games, leaving it up to chance. Epic have acknowledged the problem, and even devised a reason why they are disappearing, although no fix has been shipped yet. Epic clarified that while the Floating Rings still exist, they sometimes don’t process on players’ screens. This is often because of low graphics settings rendering it out. “We’re aware that Floating Rings for Floating Ring Challenges may not be visible on some platforms with lower settings. The Rings are still present, however,” they said on Twitter. Epic noted that the problem is currently being experienced on Mobile and PC, so PS4, Xbox, and Switch players shouldn’t have to worry about the invisible rings. We’re aware that Floating Rings for Floating Ring Challenges may not be visible on some platforms with lower settings. (The Rings are still present, however.) We’ll provide an update when we have new information.https://t.co/1Ipwq5Bkb0 — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) July 6, 2020 The developers, however, didn’t note whether it was just the Lazy Lake Rings that were disappearing, or if it was happening across the map. The Rings have been spawning all over the Season 3 map, but it’s only the Lazy Lake ones that count for this week’s challenge. If you are wondering how to complete this Week 3 challenge though, we’ve got a guide for you. The positions are all mapped out too — so even if you can’t see the Rings, you should be able to find them. Finish it in the next couple of days, and 35,000 XP is yours.

Fortnite devs respond to crazy teleport bug ruining gunfights – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to crazy teleport bug ruining gunfights Epic GamesFortnite developers Epic Games have responded to a bizarre teleporting bug in Chapter 2, which appears to allow players to move through solid surfaces without any issue. Given the importance of building in Fortnite, one of the game’s key mechanics is its completely destructible environment. If you have more than a few games under your belt, you’ll know that nearly every building is destructible and that finding cover is just as important as building your own. However, a new bug has surfaced that appears to negate certain surfaces and textures, with players able to transport through completely solid walls. It has, unsurprisingly, caused controversy to those who have died unexpectedly because of it. One of these players is u/FadezV2, who shared their confusion to Reddit on August 9, simply asking: “What just happened here?” Attached was a clip showing multiple engagements with one enemy, who appeared to be frequently shifting through solid surfaces. After encountering the player at a distance multiple times, they finally come to heads near Misty Meadows, where the enemy jumps through a solid roof and kills the confused player. Understandably, this doesn’t sit too well with the victim who questions how the players was able to phase through a solid object. However, an Epic dev was on hand to respond to the glitch, and it appears they’re not sure what caused it. “Thanks for the report, u/FadezV2,” they said. “I’ve sent this over to our QA team for them to investigate.” It’s not entirely clear what caused the issue, whether it was an exploit or simply lag. A bug or glitch does indeed seem the most likely outcome and, with Epic Games now on the case, we can expect to see it resolved in the near future.

Fortnite devs respond to broken Chug Splashes as multiple bugs found – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to broken Chug Splashes as multiple bugs found Epic GamesChug Splashes have finally made their long-awaited return in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3, but it appears that players have been having problems with the shield-boosting item, and Epic have responded to the matter. As players who regularly drop off the Battle Bus will know by now, Chug Splashes can be really handy for healing multiple teammates at once, as a single splash can catch more than one person and restore shields/health by 20. That being said, their comeback has been somewhat marred, as an in-game bug has been rendering them pretty much useless since patch v13.00 went live. Fortnite Chug Splash issues confirmed Instead 0f dishing out the usual 20 HP splashes, some members of the community have been baffled to learn that they now only restore health or shields by one point per hit. Clearly, that’s never been the intention when they’ve been made active as part of the loot pool. It’s also been known to not work at all when players are inside a bush or when a build is made a certain way, which are other issues that need resolving. Thankfully, though, after being flagged by Redditors a dev has ensured the team are looking into the problem. Replying to the post above, from user Nitehook_YT, dev EmptyTux said: “Sending this over to our QA team for investigation. If you run into this again /u/Nitehook_YT, please Submit Feedback using the in-game menu option and let me know. Thanks!” Read More: Can you play Fortnite on iOS 14 beta? – Another user posted: “Can’t use in a big bush. Can’t use on a build that’s underwater (i.e. throwing it on a stair or wall that’s partially underwater will not work).” The issue has since been added to the official Fortnite Trello board to be monitored as a priority problem, and will likely be resolved in a future patch. When the fix actually comes, however, is not yet clear.

Fortnite devs respond to game-breaking car glitch that’s killing drivers – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to game-breaking car glitch that’s killing drivers Epic GamesA new Fortnite vehicle glitch has emerged in Season 3, randomly killing drivers as they cruise around the map. Epic have responded to the myriad of complaints though, and are looking into a fix. Fortnite’s joy rides have been a pain to deal with so far in Season 3. They’ve taken to the skies unintentionally, players have been able to keep them running with infinite fuel, and that’s only the surface of some of the glitches. While most of them haven’t been too game-breaking, a new one that has surfaced certainly is. Players are being dragged out of their cars and killed while still driving. The worst of all, it’s almost impossible to know when it’ll strike. Numerous players have uploaded clips of their random deaths to Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube. There are some common themes between the random vehicle deaths though. First of all, all the clips Dexerto has been able to uncover involve the Whiplash. The sports car may go fast in Fortnite, but it could also quickly lead to your death through this glitch. The Bear, Mudflap, and the Prevalent haven’t been affected. Most of the sudden deaths take place at Pleasant Park, although there was one instance of it happening at Lazy Lake. Often it involves players running into terrain then falling through the map, or just dying on collision. While this could be due to the cars being low health, most of the deaths happened while the Whiplashes were fully fortified. It just seems like an indiscriminate glitch that could strike at almost any time around Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or another major POI. Epic have responded to the glitch on Reddit stating that while they don’t have a fix yet, the team is currently looking into one. “If anyone is able to reproduce it, please immediately report it via the in-game Feedback button after encountering it,” said ‘EpicBoaty’ on Reddit. There’s currently no timeline for when this glitch will be fixed. It’s also unclear whether Epic will disable the Whiplash — or all cars — to fix the bug. Epic did take the drastic step of disabling boats to fix an infinite item glitch, so they could do the same here. For now though, if you pick up a Whiplash, be careful when cruising around Pleasant Park or Lazy Lake. It might also being worth finding another car to ride around in, in case you become an unlucky victim to this glitch.

Fortnite devs respond to infinite loading screen bug in Season 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond to infinite loading screen bug in Season 5 Epic GamesIf you’ve been jumping into Fortnite Season 5 since the new update rolled around, there’s a good chance you’ve been hit with an infinite loading screen bug. Epic Games is already aware of the critical issue though, so here’s what you need to know. On the back of a Marvel-centric season that concluded with the biggest in-game event to date, Fortnite Season 5 is finally upon us. Whether you’re checking out the newly revamped map, trying to unlock some Star Wars skins in the Battle Pass, or simply going hands-on with some new weapons, there’s plenty to see and do. The beginning of a new season always sees a huge spike in interest. Veteran players are often drawn back to the title while newcomers jump in for the very first time. However, there’s a game-breaking bug in the latest update that could just turn you away. Randomly between games, players have reported what seem to be endless loading screens. You can get caught in the never-ending state, requiring you to reboot the game and start from scratch. “There is a bug where it stays on the loading screen forever and you have to restart Fortnite,” Reddit user ‘SirCrazyLionYT’ revealed. “This happens too many times to count.” Without warning, you could be trapped in a loading screen for a few minutes before realizing the issue. For now, the problem only seems to occur on console. So if you’re playing on Xbox or PlayStation, you’ll need to be cautious moving forward. Many players have chimed in on the topic, however, having encountered the same frustrating bug. Given just how common infinite loading screens are in Season 5, Epic is already on the case. “We’re investigating an issue that is causing players to experience long load times after completing a match on PlayStation and Xbox consoles,” the Fortnite Status account shared on December 2. In fact, it’s currently the top priority on Fortnite’s official Trello board. There’s no ETA just yet, but these types of bugs are usually dealt with rather quickly. Especially with more people dropping into Fortnite than usual, expect to see loading screens back to normal very soon. We’re investigating an issue that is causing players to experience long load times after completing a match on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. We’ll provide an update when the issue is resolved. pic.twitter.com/jrlTKVLQuA — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) December 2, 2020 While there’s no workaround for console players just yet, keep your eyes peeled as you transition in and out of games. It could trap you before a match starts, or it could strike after a successful run. There’s no way to prevent it at this point in time. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as a hotfix is deployed to counter the game-breaking bug. In the meantime, your Fortnite session on console might just have you heading to the dashboard a handful of times.

Fortnite devs remove Chain of Hades after Doja Cat calls weapon “horrible and garbage” – Dexerto
Fortnite devs remove Chain of Hades after Doja Cat calls weapon “horrible and garbage” DexertoEpic Games seemingly removed the Chain of Hades from Fortnite after Doja Cat called those who used the weapon “horrible and garbage.” On May 15, Fortnite revealed that they had removed the Chain of Hades due to an overpowered bug for the rest of the season. The Chain of Hades was one of the original mythology-themed mythic weapons added at the start of Chapter 5 of Season 2. The weapon was designed to smack players around and pull them in for closer combat. Without a timer or reload mechanic, the Chain of Hades was considered one of the game’s more broken additions. However, shortly after popular music artist Doja Cat tweeted about the weapon, which has now been deleted, Epic was quick to remove the Chain of Hades from Fortnite. “If you’re horrible and garbage at Fortnite make sure you grab a Chain of Hades whip to pass the time. Dumb c****,” said Doja Cat. “If Fortnite knew what was good for them they’d get rid of the Chain of Hades.” Fortnite players were impressed by Doja Cat’s ability to seemingly influence a company to remove a weapon from the game based on influence alone. Something that even the community was enamored with and expressed their admiration for. “Look at what Doja Cat did for the Fortnite community.” said one person on X. Doja Cat deleted both of her tweets about Fortnite shortly after they were posted and since then has not made any more references to Fortnite or the Chain of Hades. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is nearing its end, but despite that, Epic decided that the Chain of Hades was too powerful to remain in the game for another week. Chapter 5 Season 3 begins on May 24 which will usher in a new theme and set of items.

Fortnite devs respond after major backlash to movement changes – Dexerto
Fortnite devs respond after major backlash to movement changes Epic GamesFortnite’s newest chapter introduced new movement changes that haven’t landed with the community and the dev team has now shared a response to the backlash. It’s been a wild few weeks for Fortnite, as Season OG saw the battle royale reach absurd levels of concurrent players. It all ended with an in-game concert from rapper Eminem, the reveal of new game modes, and the launch of Chapter 5. Chapter 5, Season 1 is Fortnite’s newest chapter, introducing weapon mods, a slew of new skins, and potential crossovers. One of the biggest changes came from new movement mechanics like wall running and the reintroduction of hurdling. Not everyone’s a fan of the new movement changes, and after widespread community backlash, Epic Games has responded to the criticism. Fortnite responds to controversial new movement changes The crux of player criticism has centered on how the movement changes feel, with creators and players saying it feels “janky.” Part of this is due to Chapter 5’s arrival introducing an upgrade to many of the in-game animations. While it may look cool, players believe it doesn’t play as well. For example, one Reddit post compared crouch speeds before and after the update, discovering at least a 43% decrease in speed this season. This has rightfully led to widespread backlash amongst the community. The dev team has seen the mounting frustration and put out a message citing the desire to “encourage more strategic decision-making” and “introduce visual improvements.” After the message was shared, many of the responses voiced appreciation for the dev team’s quick statement. Well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX simply stated “W Communication,” while leaker iFireMonkey remarked, “NGL, I was completely fine with the changes, keep up the communication.” Of course, that didn’t stop the sea of replies from users who remained frustrated with the changes. “I speak for everyone when I say we don’t care about getting used to it just revert it,” stated one player. The dev note ended with: “In this early stage we’re hoping that you’ll consider this update & that it starts to feel natural over time.” It seems like the team won’t revert the changes, but time will tell what comes next for Fortnite’s movement.

Fortnite devs finally respond to year-old controller inventory bug everyone hates – Dexerto
Fortnite devs finally respond to year-old controller inventory bug everyone hates Epic GamesDevelopers Epic Games have finally responded to a year-old bug in Fortnite, which relates specifically to players’ inventories when they are playing via a controller. While cross-platform play is growing in popularity across the gaming industry, many forget just how influential and innovative Fortnite was in this regard. When Epic Games’ battle royale dropped, many players were (inevitably) sucked in by the keyboard and mouse versus controller argument. There are advantages and disadvantages to both but, as Fortnite has grown older and morphed into the game it is in Chapter 2, some controller players feel they have been left behind by the developers over at Epic. A common frustration among controller players is the prevalence of bugs, which some argue are far more frequent on controllers compared to keyboard and mouse. One particular inventory bug has now been in the game for more than 12 months without a patch, and controller players’ patience is wearing thin. When controller players open their inventory, the game is supposed to take them to the first slot. From there, they can organize their inventory or drop items. However, with the bug in question, whatever the player last selected stays highlighted. This can lead to multiple items being selected at once, inhibiting smooth gameplay. It can also be a frustration if the player is delayed because of the glitch, only to die to an approaching enemy. After the issue was highlighted by Redditor ‘gh0stly2‘, who called out Epic over the amount of time the glitch has been in the game, the devs finally responded to confirm they are investigating. “Thanks for the tag and bringing it to our attention,” Epic replied. “Eyes on it now.” There was no information provided on a timescale for a patch, but Fortnite players can expect one fairly swiftly now Epic have confirmed it is being investigated. Keep your eyes peeled on future patch notes for confirmation of a fix.

Fortnite devs confirm that major improvements are coming soon to Legendary Bush item – Dexerto
Fortnite devs confirm that major improvements are coming soon to Legendary Bush item The Legendary Bush item in Fortnite Battle Royale is set to undergo major changes in the near future, according to Epic Games. Eric Williamson, Design Lead for Fortnite at Epic Games, commented on a Reddit post that was suggesting some changes that could be made to the Bush to make it a more viable item. The Reddit user, ‘RhysWindu,’ proposed that the Bush could be made to protect the user from the first shot that an enemy player might take at it, which would make the item a lot more useful. Williamson responded by saying that this idea was one of several that had been discussed by the developers: “We’ve been looking at ways to potentially improve the Bush’s effectiveness. This is an option that’s been discussed a few times.” He went on to further detail several other changes that the team has been looking at as potential improvements, such as having multiple charges, being auto-enabled while it’s in the inventory so it can’t be shot off, and reducing the leaves that block the user’s view. In terms of when players can expect one or more of these potential improvements to be implemented, Williamson did not offer a time table: “No adjustments in the next update, but it’s something we’ll be reviewing.” At least the Design Lead is acknowledging that Epic are aware that the Bush is essentially a pointless and useless item in many Fortnite players’ eyes and fundamental adjustments are needed to make it better. In its current state, the cons heavily outweigh the pros when it comes to using the item. Having it equipped offers no physical protection, can annoyingly hinder the user’s field of view when aiming down sights, and takes up a valuable spot in the inventory. As for the benefits? It can sometimes come in handy when camouflaging against nearby opponents and it’s good for producing funny in-game content, that’s pretty much it. While these proposed changes do offer hope for the Bush, it also begs the question as to why Epic have decided to keep the Legendary item in the game for this long when it has never been consistently used and similarly underused items have been vaulted before.

Fortnite devs explain why converted Lego skins are limited at launch – Dexerto
Fortnite devs explain why converted Lego skins are limited at launch Twitter: LEGOFortniteThe developers behind Lego Fortnite have revealed why the new skins do not include some famous characters from recognizable IPs as of yet. Fortnite has been absolutely blowing up on the internet as of late. The incredibly popular battle royale developed by Epic Games has seen great success in collaborating with pop culture icons, porting over recognizable skins to the game. Recently Fortnite brought over TV superstar Peter Griffin from the animated series Family Guy, porting over a skin, emote, glider, and more. With such a monumental figure being added to the game, players went crazy over the newest addition, alongside the release of the new Chapter 5 update. Additionally, Fortnite announced the launch of Lego Fortnite, a collaboration between the two companies that sees the toy enter into the digital realm. Fortnite has also brought over a bunch of skins from the game into its Lego version, however, the devs have explained that skins from certain IPs may take a bit longer. Almost 320 different skins will be available at launch, with plenty more coming along the way. However, this may not include several of the branded skin lines like Star Wars, Naruto, and Family Guy, as the devs have explained that these may take a bit longer to port over. The Fortnite devs shared that they’d “expand LEGO styling as far as” they can. This means that the devs are likely pushing to have more iconic skins moved over to their Lego versions, but that they seemingly need to receive permission from partners before they can release the Lego version of the skin. For those who already own the skins, each skin that is available in your wardrobe will already be available in its Lego form free of charge. As for when we may see these licensed skins transform is up in the air, but with how much players love collabs in Fortnite, it may come far sooner than we think.

Fortnite devs confirm new Season 2 start date & 11.50 update details – Dexerto
Fortnite devs confirm new Season 2 start date & 11.50 update details Epic GamesEpic Games have finally announced a release date for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, confirming that patch 11.50 will be the start of a new journey for the game. The game’s developers had previously stated that the debut season of the current chapter was set to end in February and have kept good on that promise by revealing a news announcement on January 24 confirming as much. Following a period of uncertainty for the game’s community, after the usually accurate leaked HYPEX revealed that the length of Season 1 had been extended by a further two weeks, Epic Games have moved to ensure players that no more extensions will be taking place. When Does Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 start? In a news announcement posted to the official Fortnite website on January 25, the game’s development team confirmed that February 20 will indeed be the date that Season 2 starts in-game – meaning leaked information from HYPEX was correct. Many expected that it would come to a close in early February, with dates as early as February 4 suggested by players, but thanks to the developers we now know that is officially not the case, and Fortnite fans will have to wait another few weeks for the new season update to drop. It was announced back in November that the debut season would be the longest to-date and finally, the wait for information regarding the game’s next major update is over. Fortnite moving to new engine However, there was more than just a start date for the community to digest – as there was also a new game engine revealed and some words missing from the post. An official statement said: “Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics engine. At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite. Along the way there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players.” What else can we expect in Fortnite’s v11.50 Update While Epic Games have yet to announce what else will officially be coming in the next update, their community Trello is regularly updated with information, and we already know some of the fixes that are coming in the update. Ziplines will return after being temporarily disabled when players discovered a number of exploits involving the transport method, including ways that players could teleport hundreds of feet into the air thanks to them. Elsewhere, fixes to building glitches are also coming, while the developers will also address a problem with the Rippley vs Sludge Overtime Mission that has been recording statistics properly, meaning players couldn’t earn rewards. Fans can now look forward to seeing the 11.50 update released and will be hoping, unlike many patches of late, that there will be some patch notes to come with it. Should there be any teasers about potential storylines or map changes for Season 2 revealed in the coming weeks, as we approach the next update, we’ll be the first to let you know.

Fortnite devs add an Easter Egg for Stephen A. Smith’s viral drop spot clip – Dexerto
Fortnite devs add an Easter Egg for Stephen A. Smith’s viral drop spot clip Epic GamesA sneaky line in Fortnite Reload’s reveal pays homage to Stephen A. Smith’s viral clip where he chose Tilted Towers as a drop spot. Time and time again, Epic Games has shown they pay close attention to the Fortnite community. Sneaky Easter eggs such as a player’s viral car crash litter the in-game map. With the surprise reveal of Fortnite Reload, the Resurgence-style mode on a map comprised of OG locales, Epic Games took the chance to continue their Easter Egg streak. If you head to Fortnite’s website, a picture of Tilted Towers is captioned: “Tilted Towers, in the middle of the map, because that’s where the party’s at.“ For the unaware, it might not seem like much. However, it actually serves as a callback to sports media personality Stephen A. Smith’s viral clip where he chose Tilted Towers as his Fortnite drop spot. “Where the parties at? Where the parties at? I’m going with Tilted Towers.” Smith said back in March. Fortnite players and fans loved the nod to Smith’s viral selection. “That’s awesome lmao,” one reply shared, while another agreed: “Stephen’s right, Tilted Towers is where the party’s at.” Days after Smith’s selection hit the Internet, he shot his shot at getting a Fortnite skin, to which many shared they’d purchase it. Whether it will happen remains to be seen. Smith’s gaming knowledge has been front and center for some time, with fans having him choose between Rust or Nuketown. There’s also been his answer on which Pokemon would beat LeBron James in a 1v1 or his pitch to be in GTA 6. Smith’s Easter Egg aside, Fortnite Reload has been quite the hit with the community, as it racked up a higher player count than all the in-game modes combined when it arrived with update 30.20.

Fortnite devs address new “God Mode” Secret Passage exploit – Dexerto
Fortnite devs address new “God Mode” Secret Passage exploit Epic Games[jwplayer dDOO1bSy]Fortnite’s Secret Passages have come under fire in Season 3, forcing Epic to respond to an absurd “God Mode” invulnerability issue in the Battle Royale. Secret Passages have been a solid means of traversal in Fortnite since their introduction in Season 2 of Chapter 2. When entering certain port-a-potties or even dumpsters, players can launch themselves through to other sections of the map. If you can’t find a vehicle and walking will just take too long, they’re a great alternative. However, they can come with their downsides. Enemies may anticipate the common exit-points and set traps for you. At least, that’s how things are supposed to unfold. Lately, a game-breaking issue has been putting a stop to that. When leaving a Secret Passage in the latest version of Fortnite, players have been granted the power of invincibility. Whether it’s damage from weapons or damage from the storm, all of it has been ignored thanks to this exploit. After a few hours of the issue impacting games across all platforms, Epic stepped in with a temporary measure. “Due to an issue, we’ve temporarily disabled the ability to travel with secret passages,” the Fortnite Status account shared on July 8. Due to an issue, we’re temporarily disabled the ability to travel with secret passages. We’ll provide an update when the issue is resolved. pic.twitter.com/BE5yJg0UBc — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) July 8, 2020 This means that Secret Passages around the map will no longer be accessible in the same way as before. While you can still use them as hiding spots, you’ll no longer be able to travel through them. Waiting at the exit for enemies to filter through will simply be a waste of your time until a proper fix is deployed. Becoming immortal in Fortnite is nothing new, though this appears to be the first time that such an issue stems from the Secret Passages. There’s no telling just what caused them to behave in this way, but it was clearly ruining the Battle Royale experience before being disabled. Players were left stumped by competition that simply wouldn’t die. No matter how many shots they were hit with, it was never enough due to the glitch. A viable strategy could have been to just sit in the storm while all other players died. However, it quickly became more and more popular. Before long, entire teams were exploiting Secret Passages and tarnishing the state of any given match. Developers are yet to explain how they plan on fixing the issue, though it’s likely the means of traversal will be back soon. “We’ll provide an update when the issue is resolved,” the July 8 post concluded. In the meantime, all-new vehicles are set to shake up the state of Fortnite in the near future. Even if Secret Passages are back up and running, you may still opt for one of six new cars instead.

Fortnite developer keeps teasing a non-existent mythic weapon and players are furious – Dexerto
Fortnite developer keeps teasing a non-existent mythic weapon and players are furious Dexerto/Epic GamesEpic Games has frustrated Fortnite players by hyping up a mythic weapon in the patch notes, only for it to not be in the game. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, dubbed Absolute Doom, introduced a host of mythic weapons hoping to delight players. The lineup promised by the patch notes included the Dual Micro SMGs, the Monarch Pistol, and the Sovereign Shotgun. You can find two out of these three items in Marvel-inspired points of interest on the map. However, things went awry when it became clear the mythic Dual Micro SMGs were missing. Fortnite players vented on Reddit after discovering the Dual Micro SMGs were absent from the game. They also found that Gwenpool, the NPC who should drop them, wasn’t in Fortnite either. The only interaction with her was through a hidden mission, and even then, no SMGs. According to players, other crucial details were also missing from the patch notes. Items such as armored walls, flowberries, and chug splashes appear in-game yet went without mention in the release notes for Season 4. “The patch notes were a complete mess,” one player fumed. “They didn’t mention major changes, and now we’re left with a weapon that doesn’t exist.” Another user criticized Epic’s misleading previews. “Showing a minigun in the island preview but not mentioning that C4 was unvaulted last season is incredibly frustrating,” they said. The discontent reflects broader issues with Epic’s recent updates. “Epic’s approach to rolling out new weapons is confusing,” remarked a player. “Introducing the mini gun and the lock-on rocket launcher earlier would have been a better move.” The last Fortnite season, Chapter 5 Season 3, received such poor reviews that both fans and popular streamers, including Ninja, called it “the worst season ever.” Ninja was also critical of the current season, raging during a stream that he was “going to CoD” instead.

Fortnite developers finally address frustrating framerate issues – Dexerto
Fortnite developers finally address frustrating framerate issues Epic GamesFortnite developers Epic Games have finally responded to complaints from the community about FPS issues that have seen their framerates drop, making the game difficult to play. Since the game released in last 2017, Fortnite has become a global juggernaut, with millions playing the popular battle royale game even now as it enters its twelfth season, which kicked off back on February 20. Chapter 2, Season 2 brought a host of new items and experiences for fans of the game, but as with most updates, it also brought a couple of issues with it. Epic Games moved to fix many of these on February 25 when they released a surprise patch for the game, sorting out problems with the game’s aim assist and editing systems, but one frustrating problem still existed, leaving fans wondering if there would ever be a fix. Since the launch of Season 2, players across all platforms have been complaining about framerate issues, which make the game appear laggy and make it difficult to play. With this issue happening on consoles and PC, it quickly became clear that this wasn’t an issue with the devices that players were using, but rather something wrong with the Fortnite code itself, meaning there was nothing players could do until the developers themselves addressed it. Thankfully, Epic Games have been listening to the cries of Fortnite fans upset with the situation, and on February 27 confirmed that work was underway to fix everything in an upcoming patch. The developers released a maintenance patch for PlayStation 4 designed to address performance, before confirming that they were also “working on performance improvements for all platforms,” writing on the official Trello board that they were “aware of reports” and that a fix was “in development.” We’re also working on performance improvements for all platforms:https://t.co/5RMbfok95F — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) February 27, 2020 These improvements should address the problems with framerate, making it easier to play the game without visual lagging which can make it tough to spot opponents or just move around the island. Unfortunately, Epic have yet to confirm a date for this fix to release, so Fortnite fans will just have to hang tight until the developers offer more information.

Fortnite developer announces launch of Epic Games Store – Dexerto
Fortnite developer announces launch of Epic Games Store Epic GamesFortnite’s astonishing success has been a catalyst in Epic Games creating their very own game store, and now they’re almost ready to launch it. In a move that they claim to have been five years in the making, Epic Games intends to bring its games directly to their customers using their online platform – the Epic Games Store. As seen with the Epic Games Launcher on both Mac and PC, the developer has put together a Steam-style system that supports numerous payment methods and their success with Fortnite has laid the ground works down for this new development. In an official statement on the Unreal Engine website, the Founder of Epic Games Tim Sweeney said: “As developers ourselves, we wanted two things: a store with fair economics, and a direct relationship with players. And we’ve heard that many of you want this too!” Sweeney confirmed that the new Epic Games store will launch initially with just a “hand-curated” set of games to begin with, but he expects it to open up channels with other platforms such as Android throughout the course of the next year. The intention of creating the store, he says, is to advance the cause of developers. To give developers an idea of how Epic Games intend to achieve this objective, the Founder has published the following revenue split chart. Therefore, all developers looking to use the Epic Games Store will have access to 88% of their games’ revenue, handing over 12% to Epic Games. Epic will also pay for the 5% engine royalty for sales on its platform, an attempt to seemingly incentivize developers to get on board. From the information released today by Sweeney, it seems that developers will be able to use any engine they choose and still be able to work with Epic Games Store. The plan looks to set out a pretty lucrative proposition for upcoming developers, but whether the model will be sustainable in the long-term and be able to compete with Steam is a question that they will have to answer.

Fortnite dev explains why popular new editing feature has been disabled [UPDATE] – Dexerto
Fortnite dev explains why popular new editing feature has been disabled [UPDATE] Epic Games have confirmed that a major change made to the editing system in Fortnite Battle Royale has been temporarily reverted. The massive v7.20 patch update that went live in Fortnite on January 15 adjusted editing to allow the initial edit of builds to register immediately, regardless of the player’s respective internet connection or server ping. While the speed at which the edits got confirmed still relied on those two aspects, the ability to at least instantly initiate the initial edit greatly cut down on ghost shots and made the overall experiences much smoother. While players were happily reaping the benefits of this new change in the day or so following its implementation, some soon began experiencing the pre-patch effects of the editing once again, aka ghost shots and edit delay. As some of the more prominent members of the Fortnite community began publicly complaining about this issue, @PeteNub, Technical Lead on Fortnite at Epic Games, explained what was going on. He also hinted at a “more robust version” of the editing system coming soon, but it requires a patch that would have to be manually downloaded and installed. This means that the new editing feature will likely not be implemented back into the game until the next update, which will probably go live sometime between January 22-23. I think the editing got reverted. Can’t tell, but it just doesn’t feel as consistent as when the update dropped. — Dixon :sunflower: (@WhosDixon) January 17, 2019 As for now, players will have to still deal with the way editing was prior to the release of v7.20, which means more of those annoying ghost shots and edit delay. UPDATE Epic Games Community Coordinator Sean ‘MrPopoTFS’ Hamilton has offered new details on this change, assuring fans that the new editing improvements will be added back with the v7.30 update.

Fortnite dev hints G.I Joe Snake Eyes collaboration could be in the works – Dexerto
Fortnite dev hints G.I Joe Snake Eyes collaboration could be in the works Epic Games / HasbroFortnite developer Donald Mustard hid some clues towards future content in the background of his zoom call today and a conveniently-placed G.I Joe figurine has convinced some players a collaboration could be on the cards.[jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Fortnite is no stranger to collaboration and innovation. It’s a game that knows no bounds and has collided with other characters and universes including Batman, John Wick, Marvel, and Star Wars. Donald Mustard, the Creative Director at Epic Games, has been busy dropping hints towards future content in recent weeks. In an interview on Marvel’s ‘This Week In Marvel’ podcast, he let it slip that Fortnite and Marvel would be crossing paths time and time again. However, it seems like that isn’t all he’s got planned. Earlier today, he took part in a zoom interview with video-game journalist Geoff Keighley and dropped some hints towards future content in a creative way. Donald Mustard scattered clues around his room Donald Mustard used a webcam during the Zoom call. Naturally, that means viewers could see the room he was in. However, instead of covering things up left, right, and center, he embraced it and decided to play a game — the madman scattered clues hinting towards future content around the room. “That was SO fun and SO inspiring!” he said. “Super cool to hang out with a bunch of awesome people who all LOVE the art of games! Trying to count how many clues to future stuff I’ve hidden into the background of my ‘wfh’ space…” he added. That was SO fun and SO inspiring! Super cool to hang out with a bunch of awesome people who all LOVE the art of games! Trying to count how many clues to future stuff I’ve hidden into the background of my ‘wfh’ space… https://t.co/m4lxWPt3ks — Donald Mustard (@DonaldMustard) October 25, 2020 Fortnite players were quick to pounce and look for clues. There were lots of bits and pieces in the shot, including a couch, a desk, an exercise bike, and paintings on the wall. However, one item stood head and shoulders above the rest. It’s gained traction on social media and convinced many Fortnite might cross paths with another popular American hero, G.I Joe. There’s a lot of stuff hidden in the background, including a poster to Star Trek: Into Darkness. However, only one thing sticks out like a sore thumb; a boxed figure of ‘Snake Eyes’ from revived franchise G.I Joe. Snake Eyes is an important member of the G.I Joe Team. He’s also one of the most popular characters in the story and has been involved in the story behind every G.I Joe movie and series. Read more: Fortnite Baba Yaga skin release date leaked – Interestingly, a spin-off film dedicated entirely to him called ‘Snake Eyes’ is reportedly on the cards for production in 2021. If anything, it makes a potential Fortnite and G.I Joe collaboration all-the-more believable. However, not everyone is convinced. Some players hope and believe Fortnite will cross paths with Star Trek instead. It’s also possible that both of them will come into play at separate points in time. After all, Donald Mustard himself multiple clues were hidden in the background. Either way, the hype is real, and players can’t wait to see what’s happening next in Fortnite. And, while we wait, there’s still plenty of Marvel content to enjoy too.

Fortnite dev explains why pickaxe harvesting bug took so long to fix – Dexerto
Fortnite dev explains why pickaxe harvesting bug took so long to fix Epic GamesEpic Games promised that they would fix an ongoing harvesting issue in Fortnite Chapter 2 with their next patch, but some players were confused as to why problems continued after the Feb 10 update – and they have now explained why along with finally fixing the issue. The battle royale game had been plagued with bugs since moving over to a brand new game engine with the v11.50 update on February 5. Players had reported problems dropping from the Battle Bus, being unable to use Launch Pads properly, and having difficulties harvesting. A surprise update, hotfix 11.50.1, was released just six days later on February 11 there wasn’t much information about what was being addressed, with the developers simply stating that “stability” problems had been worked on. One of those, however, was clearly not the pickaxe glitch. The pickaxe harvesting bug stopped players from harvesting as they normally would be able to. With weak spots not working correctly, those wanting to pick a load of mats from destroying trees, cars and other features were being slowed down in their tracks. Weak points on surfaces usually make it faster to collect materials with each swing of a pickaxe, although that feature hadn’t been working correctly since the update went live. Now, Epic Games have explained why. Responding to a post on Reddit, where user LeOsaru was wondering how the recent hotfix never resolved the problem, EpicDustyDevo said: “FYI – Only data changes can be hotfixed – code bugs like these require a new build,” referencing the bug mentioned here. “Basically hotfix means you change data (like how much damage a gun does, or how long it takes for the storm to close in), whereas most actual code bugs need to be fixed in code, compiled, and then a new version of the game has to be released to you. That process takes at least a few days in the best of circumstances.” A few players suggested, in that case, that the devs could increase the speed of harvesting to counteract the issue in the meantime, using a hotfix, although they weren’t really a fan of that idea. EpicDustyDevo responded: “You are correct that we could hotfix that but that kind of HF would go across all platforms so PC would also get elevated mats which would have exacerbated the problem. “The problem there is hotfixes are not platform-specific so we would be elevating farming for all platforms. Don’t worry, this will be a distant memory soon.” PS4 players weren’t impacted by the update on February 11, which meant everybody playing on that console had to wait even longer for stability issues to finally be resolved on February 12. Patch v11.50.1 has been released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Android. We’ll provide an update when the patch is available to download on PC. pic.twitter.com/TI4ciegYaI — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) February 12, 2020 Even though the glitch is now fixed for members of the console community, there’s a lot more than just the harvesting problem alone that is impacting their gameplay, at least at the time of writing.

Fortnite designers create Icon Series skins for Tfue, NICKMERCS and more – Dexerto
Fortnite designers create Icon Series skins for Tfue, NICKMERCS and more D3NNI_yt – TwitterFortnite fans have taken it upon themselves to create their own Icon Series skins for their favorite streamers after Epic Games announced the new initiative. Epic Games got the ball rolling with streamer skins in Fortnite by introducing one for Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. Ninja was one of the first streamers to shine a light on Fortnite, so it makes sense for him to be immortalized first. This was followed up with a Pokimane and Jordan Fisher emote shortly after. There are also plans for Loserfruit and the Gregf to have special cosmetics in Fortnite. Epic Games won’t just be limited to the creators they list but instead, they could go up and down the wide selection of Fortnite content creators when deciding what skin to add next. In fact, some talented fans like The Final Hoss and many others have taken matters into their own hands and designed their very own skins for several streamers. Everyone from Valkyrae, Myth, Tfue, NICKMERCS, are covered here, so Epic might already have some ideas for who’s next thanks to these very elaborate concepts. For example, Zenofy’s creation of the 100 Thieves star Valkyrae has gained widespread attention, collecting over 3,000 likes on Twitter. FORTNITE ICON SERIES: VALKYRAE (CONCEPT) I’ve been seeing tons of great Icon Series concepts, so thought I’d challenge myself to create @Valkyrae! Would you like to see her join the ICON line? We don’t yet know what plans the developers have outside of the names mentioned in their official announcement, but there’s no denying that any of these players would be a bad choice to receive their own Fortnite skins.

Fortnite dev drops huge clue about a GI Joe crossover coming soon – Dexerto
Fortnite dev drops huge clue about a GI Joe crossover coming soon GI Joe/Epic GamesEpic Games creative director Donald Mustard has dropped a pretty big clue about a GI Joe crossover coming to the battle royale soon. Expanding on his previous teaser from The Game Awards in late 2020. Fortnite has become renown for it’s crossovers, as we’ve seen major pop culture icons like Star Wars, Batman, and Marvel, as well as many more, all link up with the battle royale. In Chapter 2, Season 5, Epic Games has ramped the crossovers up another level. We’ve already had Halo, God of War, The Walking Dead, and The Terminator added – and it looks like plenty more are still to come. That includes GI Joe. The action figures, turned comic, turned TV and movie franchise was teased as a Fortnite crossover back at the Game Awards when Donald Mustard had an action figure on show. But now, the Epic Games creative director has dropped another tease. As anyone who has played Fortnite for a long time will know, when Donald Mustard makes a change to his Twitter account, it usually means that Fortnite is about to change and that he’s got the first clue. Well, on January 28, the Epic Games creative director tweeted out a picture of him reading a book, with a logo that looks a lot like the Arashikage Clan mark from GI Joe. In addition to that, his location – which has also been a source for many teasers – has also been changed to Arashikage Clan. If you don’t know, is another reference to GI Joe. The Arashikage Clan are a Japanese ninja clan, which is home to the Snake-Eyes character. Donald Mustard updated his location from “”The Bridge”” to “”Arashikage Clan”” https://t.co/g3MCTyjTAf — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) January 29, 2021 If that wasn’t enough, the official Fortnite Twitter account has also posted a brand new transmission teaser, referencing a lot of “laser guns and explosions”, a clan with the “best codenames”, and a Ninja Master. The teaser even ends with the phrase “knowing is half the battle,” which some fans might recognize as a reference to GI Joe. :: Incoming Transmission – Reality Log 10155 :: Target Description: Ninja Master pic.twitter.com/IuPqGoi6AA— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 29, 2021 Since the first GI Joe teaser, many Fortnite players have pointed to Snake-Eyes being a potential skin, given the hunter theme for skins in this season. It looks like they’re on the right track following Mustard’s newest teasers, and we should see GI Joe-related cosmetics in Fortnite sooner than later.

Fortnite ‘Deep Dab’ emote exploit gives players unfair advantage – Dexerto
Fortnite ‘Deep Dab’ emote exploit gives players unfair advantage YouTube, RockyTugBoat7Fortnite Battle Royale players can gain a huge advantage in gunfights by using one of the game’s emotes. The Deep Dab, which was first added to the Fortnite Item Shop on June 20, allows players to move their character’s body down to a dab position where their heads almost touch the ground, before springing back up. While there is already mounting scrutiny surrounding the emote, after YouTuber Jacksfilms accused the game developers of stealing his dance move just days after its release, a new exploit has been uncovered that could definitely put Epic in a tricky situation. First revealed by TheFlexDaddy, and later shared by Twitch streamer SypherPK, the strange exploit allows players who have purchased the cosmetic to gain an upper hand on others by using the Deep Dab to sneak attack enemies. “Make sure to support a legitimate creator when purchasing competitive advantages from the item shop!” TheFlexDaddy tweeted on June 23, posting a video to indicate just how much of a difference the dance move can have. Make sure to support a legitimate creator when purchasing competitive advantages from the item shop! pic.twitter.com/llKdurtcpR — TheFlexDaddy (@TheFlexDaddy) June 23, 2019 Ultimately, it allows players that have built a window structure to slide underneath the middle section and shoot their opponents immediately after the emote animation comes to a close. When performed correctly, it’s going to be very difficult for an opponent to be able to combat the move. There has been, as of the time of writing, no official response to the problem from Epic Games, but given the huge problem related to the emote, you would imagine one is coming soon. Bring ’em down to your level. The new Deep Dab Emote is available now! pic.twitter.com/pPEvW0m1WN — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 20, 2019 Most previous exploits have been strongly linked to specific Fortnite items, which are available to every player, and have been vaulted as a result. This case is a little different as only gamers who have purchased the emote have an advantage, which could force its future removal from the Item Shop. Whether or not that happens, though, remains to be seen.

Fortnite Deathstroke skin coming soon as part of major Batman crossover – Dexerto
Fortnite Deathstroke skin coming soon as part of major Batman crossover Epic Games / DC ComicsFortnite leakers have revealed that Deathstroke will be the next DC Comics character to appear in the game, as part of a major new Batman crossover. Chapter 2, Season 5 of Fortnite featured some of the biggest crossovers in the battle royale’s history, with characters from franchises like Street Fighter, The Mandalorian, Predator, and The Walking Dead coming to The Island. The newly-launched Season 6 update shows no sign of slowing down when it comes to that trend, as it’s already introduced Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft and Teen Titans hero Rebirth Raven through the Battle Pass. Now, it looks like another DC Comics character will be coming to The Island, only this time it will be a supervillain: Deathstroke. Deathstroke skin is coming to Fortnite Epic Games recently announced a new crossover series called Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, a series of six comic books that will merge the world of Fortnite and DC Comics and have an impact on what happens in the game. Each issue will also come with a redeemable code that allows readers to download an exclusive DC-themed skin or cosmetic, such as the new Rebirth Harley Quinn outfit or a Batman Zero Wing glider. It looks like Deathstroke might be joining them, as prominent Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared the cover of the fourth issue of the comic book series, and it features the villain alongside Catwoman and the caped crusader himself. ShiinaBR also wrote that Deathstroke is “100% becoming a skin in Season 6” which seems to solidify that the supervillain will indeed appear in the game soon. Deathstroke is 100% becoming a skin in Season 6, as I leaked some time ago! On the cover of the 4th Batman/Fortnite, you can already see that the character will be a part of the comic! pic.twitter.com/SaVcU8bddk — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) March 21, 2021 Deathstroke Glider coming soon On April 16th, 2021, leakers confirmed that a glider for the character would also be coming to the game, adding further fuel to the fire that Deathstroke will be coming. According to Fortnite leakers iFireMonkey and FNAssist, Deathstroke’s glider will be a reward for buying Issue #4 of the Batman/Fortnite comic series. The one question that remains, however, is how will the skin be given to players. If the glider is the reward for buying issue #4, then it might be the case that Deathstroke will indeed be coming as another reward, although this hasn’t been confirmed. Deathstrokes Glider is the reward for Issue #4 of Batman x Fortnite: Zero Point. pic.twitter.com/4ggXFGWXjc — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) April 16, 2021 That’s not all, as it appears that skins like Deathstroke and Harley Quinn won’t be the only additions to the game as part of the new DC Comics crossover series. It’s been heavily speculated that a new POI based on the Batcave will arrive in a future mid-season update, with some leakers already sharing the location they believe it will appear on the Fortnite Season 6 map.

Fortnite death map reveals most dangerous locations – Dexerto
Fortnite death map reveals most dangerous locations Epic GamesIf you’re looking to stay alive until the very end of a battle royale match in Fortnite, you might want to avoid these deadly locations on the map. We’ve all been there: You spend ages traveling across The Island, collecting and upgrading the best weapons, getting some epic takedowns… and then you die, losing everything in your arsenal and missing out on that Victory Royale. It’s a frustrating moment, for sure. But avoiding some of the game’s elimination hot spots could help you on your path to success – or at the very least, make you one of the Top 10 remaining players. Fortunately, one Fortnite leaker has put together a map highlighting the points of interest that have significantly more deaths than others, meaning you’ll know where to avoid next time you go for the win. Where is the most dangerous place in Fortnite? Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi has collected a huge sample of 50,000 deaths that have taken place during Season 5 of Fortnite, and highlighted exactly where they happened on The Island. Put together, they form a very useful heatmap that shows off the deadliest locations players can visit. As you can see from the map below, areas with the highest amount of deaths include Lazy Lake, Pleasant Park, Misty Meadows, Colossal Colosseum, Retail Row, and Stealthy Stronghold – which is probably due to Predator now appearing there. a better death heatmap larger sample size of 50k~ deaths and a improved(?) heatmap generation v15.00 and later pic.twitter.com/VbqxuEewHP — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) January 26, 2021 But there’s a clear winner here: Salty Towers. There are a few reasons that might help explain why this point of interest – which can be found just west of the Zero Point – is such a deadly area for players to visit. Firstly, it’s near the center of the map, which is where a lot of the action ends up taking place. Secondly, it’s covered in sand, which means players can really take advantage of the sand tunneling feature to sneak attack their opponents. Read More: Best Fortnite skins ever released – Finally, the point of interest was a new addition in Season 5, acting as a combination of previous locations Salty Springs and Tilted Towers, so it makes sense that it’s a popular destination as people rush to check it out. Lucas7yoshi also shared a zoomed-in map of Salty Towers which shows off the exact point where players in their sample died. They’re marked as red dots on the image below. Interestingly, this map may have also revealed the most dangerous building on the Island, as there are significantly more deaths centered on the tall building at the south of Salty Towers. Whether you’re new to the game and still working on your skills, or you simply want to survive as long as possible to get the best chance at a Victory Royale, it’s probably best to avoid Salty Towers at all costs.

Fortnite and Dead Space crossover reportedly in the works for 2023 – Dexerto
Fortnite and Dead Space crossover reportedly in the works for 2023 EA, Epic GamesAccording to a new report, Epic Games is partnering with EA on a Fortnite and Dead Space crossover that will go live in 2023. In recent years, Epic has worked alongside several big-name developers and publishers on video game character crossovers in Fortnite. Everyone from Kratos and Lara Croft to Master Chief and Aloy has appeared as playable characters in the battle royale. And The Witcher 3’s Geralt made his Fortnite debut during the recent rollout of Chapter 4 Season 1. These brand deals with Fortnite often occur just in time for a franchise’s newest release. A certain remake from Electronic Arts may soon receive similar treatment. Will the terrors of Dead Space invade Fortnite Sources in communication with Insider Gaming claim Dead Space will join Epic’s popular battle royale on January 23, 2023 – days before the Dead Space remake arrives on January 27. The publication said it’s seen proof of the crossover, which will serve as “one of the first major collaborations and cross-promotion events for 2023.” As of writing, neither Electronic Arts nor Epic Games have addressed the report’s claims. The collab’s alleged launch date suggests the wait for a possible announcement won’t last long, though. There’s currently no word on what the supposed Dead Space and Fortnite crossover will entail in terms of content. However, precedent with similar cross-promotional deals indicates players can at least expect a skin modeled after Dead Space protagonist Isaac Clarke. Isaac would fit right in with Fortnite Season 4’s newly playable characters. In addition to Geralt of Rivia, the recent seasonal update also added Doom Slayer to the mix. It seems armored spacemen is the new wave for Fortnite.

Fortnite: Dataminers have uncovered a new consumable item – Dexerto
Fortnite: Dataminers have uncovered a new consumable item Epic GamesThe new season of Fortnite is upon us and with it came a bunch of data for miners to sift through which led to the uncovering of a new consumable item possibly on the way. Fortnite has its legion of fans who like to dissect every crevice of data for any hints of upcoming skins, weapons, items and more, the method is great for letting fans know what Epic Games might be up to. The discovery comes from Fortnite leaker ‘FortTory’ who found a file named ‘BigPoppy_Pop’ under the Consumables folder in the larger cache under Items. New consumable – BigPoppy_Pop Dont know what it is… pic.twitter.com/GYkI91HZnt— FortTory – Fortnite Leaks (@FortTory) December 6, 2018 So far there isn’t anything official released from the Fortnite developers to tie to the file, but fans are already speculating that this could be a future shield consumable that is a tier higher than the Shield Potion. When a player “pops” a Shield Potion it gives them 50 shield points. The tier below that is called a Small Shield Potion that gives 25 shield points. BigPoppie_Pop could be alluding to the next stage of the protective consumable that provides the player with a larger chunk of shield which would presumably be 75 to 100 shield points. The files are rife with intriguing names from ‘CosmeticVariants’ to ‘Backpack_Pets_GingerbreadMan’ that hint to possible future releases, but time will tell what Epic Games decides to go through with. What players do have in the meantime is everything in Season 7, including new items, modes, and areas of the map to explore.

Fortnite: Day 14 challenge and reward leaked | 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event – Dexerto
Fortnite: Day 14 challenge and reward leaked | 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event Data miners have discovered and leaked the challenge and reward that will be featured in the 14th and final day of the 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event. The Day 14 festivities, which will take place on January 1, will feature a rather simple challenge for players to compete – searching through the chests location around the map. Staying in line with the theme of this event, and seeing how it’s the 14th day, players will very likely be required to search 14 chests to complete the challenge. A good strategy for those who want to complete this challenge as fast as possibly would be to land at a location that has a large number of potential chest spawns. quickly loot through as many chests as possible, get eliminated by self-damage, then queue back in a repeat the process until 14 chests have been unlocked. Read More: How to complete ‘Place 13 Devices on Creative Island’ challenge | 14 Days of Fortnite – Day 13 – Below you can find a player-made map that indicates which locations have the most potential chest spawns, with Tilted Towers and Happy Hamlet proving good places to land for this challenge. As for the reward, according to leaks, players will receive the flashy new Equalizer Glider, which comes in Rare rarity and has this in-game description: “Soar through the soundscape.” Players will be quick to notice that the design of the Equalizer falls in line with the disco-themed event that is currently going on in Fortnite in honor of New Year’s Eve and the arrival of 2019. Again, this will likely be the final challenge of the 14 Days of Fortnite holiday event, and players who have yet to complete all of the previous challenges will have until either January 3 or 4 to complete them, depending your timezone. You can find a full list of all of the challenges and rewards thus far, including tips, guides, maps, and more, by visiting our 14 Days of Fortnite challenge hub HERE.

Fortnite dataminers leak potential Chapter 2 map – Dexerto
Fortnite dataminers leak potential Chapter 2 map Epic GamesA map that many players thought was a fan concept may have just been confirmed by the leaked Fortnite Chapter 2 trailer. Hype for the upcoming season of Fortnite is at an all-time high following the Season X live event that saw the entire game sucked into a black hole. When you go to start up Fortnite now, you’re unable to play anything because of the black hole, but it’s looking like we’re close to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Fast forward a day after the event and we’ve got our first look at the leaked Battle Pass trailer and it shows off the next iteration of Fortnite. Read More: What do the numbers mean in Fortnite The End – Lots of water appeared in the trailer, along with boats, which has helped give this supposed leaked image of the new map a lot more credibility. Dataminers ShiinaBR and Lucas7yoshi analyzed the trailer and think the map is indeed legit. yeah this is the new map, thanks @ShiinaBR for helping verify it from footage https://t.co/bSYkYRPPr0 — Lucas7yoshi – FNBR Leaks/News (@Lucas7yoshi) October 14, 2019 All leaked locations Beachy Bluffs – Dirty Docks – Frenzy Farm – Holly Hedges – Lazy Lake – Pleasant Park – Power Plant – Retail Row – Salty Springs – Slurpy Swamp – Sunny Shores – Weeping Woods – Near the end of the Battle Pass trailer, we got a look at a beachfront location, which is almost certainly Sunny Shores from this map. Fortnite has had water on the map before, but never quite like this. The trailer showed off boats extensively and even showed off some new mechanics such as fishing and diving. Almost every location on the map is new with the exceptions being Retail Row and Pleasant Park, who appears to have managed to survive the black hole that claimed everything else. However, until we get official word from Epic themselves, this is to be taken with a grain of salt, especially when you consider this map shown days before The End event even took place. If this ends up being the official map, it’ll fundamentally change the way Fortnite is played and fans are no doubt excited to see how it all plays out. There are a plethora of new mechanics to learn and become familiar with. Stay tuned for an official release of Fortnite Chapter 2, hopefully, sooner rather than later.

Fortnite Data-Mine Reveals Two New Snipers and a Shotgun – Dexerto
Fortnite Data-Mine Reveals Two New Snipers and a Shotgun Three new weapons are potentially coming to Fortnite and were revealed through a data mine. The Heavy Sniper, a Rail Sniper and a Break-barrel Shotgun were uncovered by the developers at XDA. The Heavy Sniper is available in the Save the World mode and has been rumored to make its way over to the Battle Royale. It is yet to feature in the PvP side and Epic might be having trouble with the balance of the weapon. The Heavy Sniper will be capable of damaging through walls, causing a lot of issues in the build-heavy Fortnite. Dad’s Amazing Reaction to 17 Year Old Son Winning $86,000 in Fortnite Summer SkirmishNo information is available on the other weapons, though their names offer hints at their functionality. Railguns use electromagnets instead of an explosion and tend to be represented in video games as something that needs to be charged to fire. Halo 5 features a railgun sniper that fires after holding the trigger for a brief period. Read More: Best Fortnite Weapon Concept Ideas – AK-47, Railgun, Paintball Gun, Battle Rifle and More – A break barrel shotgun folds in half to reload and tends to be represented as an older, double-barreled weapon, but video game examples do not offer a consistent style of gameplay. Excitement should be tempered since it is not a guarantee that the discovered weapons will make it into the final game. XDA explained why the data-mining is not a confirmation of new weapons. Keep in mind the items we found below are new in this update compared to v5.1. However, they might have been in the game previously and later removed, only to return in this release. Furthermore, Epic will sometimes add these items without actually releasing them, so even though they are in the files they might not actually make it into a live build of the game.

Fortnite Darkfire bundle revealed: release date, cosmetics, and more – Dexerto
Fortnite Darkfire bundle revealed: release date, cosmetics, and more Epic GamesWarner Bros. and Epic Games are teaming up to launch the Fortnite: Darkfire Bundle and it’s already being called the biggest content pack ever to come to the game. This new retail bundle will appear in stores for $30 and feature $80 worth of in-game cosmetics, ranging from skins, back blings, pickaxes, wraps, and emotes. Featuring 13 items in total, this is the biggest content bundle to ever arrive in Fortnite quite easily and it’ll be available worldwide. What’s in the bundle? This cosmetic pack is massive and there’s a lot being stuff in here for such a low price – by Fortnite pricing standards that is. By picking up the bundle, you will be able to get your hands on the following gear: Three Legendary outfits – Three Legendary back blings – Three Rare dual-wielding pickaxes – Three Epic wraps – One new emote – What we are missing is images of them, but it’s safe to assume those will be revealed down the line. It’s expected that they will look something along the lines of the leaked cosmetics that were found in the 10.20 update by VastBlast, although it’s worth noting that things found in the data files are always subject to change before being added to the full game. If you’re a big Fortnite fan, it’ll definitely be worth picking up the bundle for the sheer amount of cosmetics alone. Dark Backbling, sorry about the quality lol. We’ll get a better one later! (Credit @VastBlastt & @LeakyFNBR) pic.twitter.com/SN9mRFw8aP — VastBlast – Fortnite Leaks (@VastBlastt) September 3, 2019 What platforms is it available on? You’ll be able to pick up the Darkfire bundle on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch either in stores or through the respective digital marketplace. It doesn’t sound like PC or mobile players will be included with this, but considering how you can link your account across multiple platforms, there will still be a way to get the cosmetics on those platforms. Darkfire bundle release date For those wanting to get their hands on it, you will have to wait until November 5 – which is exactly two months from this initial announcement. This release date has likely been set later down the road so that it can remain a potentially hot holiday gift for children, as parents will no doubt be looking to snap up some Fortnite-related stuff around that time.

Despite many players asking Epic Games to bring it back to the game, it’s still nowhere to be seen. In fact, it’s now been well over a year since it last appeared in the Shop. There’s no confirmed reason for this, but it could be that the song was only meant to appear in the game once, or Epic could be saving its return for a future event. Fortnite Crew’s Green Arrow skin has leaked in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew’s Green Arrow skin has leaked in-game DC/Epic GamesFortnite’s Crew subscription service has accidentally gifted certain players the unreleased Green Arrow skin scheduled for January. Fortnite’s monthly Crew subscription service was announced in late November and offers players a range of perks. These include full access to the battle pass, 1000 V-Bucks, and an exclusive cosmetic bundle every single month. This is all offered at a price of $11.99 each month and allows players to consistently pick up skins and rewards. However, a recent issue with the Crew meant that Epic Games had to temporarily disable players from signing up for the service. This was caused by an in-game leak of the Green Arrow skin that was set to be released for Crew members in the month of January. Fortnite Green Arrow skin leaked in-game According to @arusaurZ_YT, the Green Arrow skin has been leaked to certain player’s accounts in Fortnite accidentally. The DC themed cosmetic was scheduled to release as January’s exclusive skin for Crew members. However, for whatever reason the skin has been released early, allowing players to use the cosmetic in-game a month in advance. A number of players recorded footage of them using the cosmetic in-game and it looks incredible. It’s fair to say the skin captures the character and will no doubt be popular among Fortnite fans. As shown in the image, the pack includes the skin, quiver back bling, and a boxing glove pickaxe. It’s definitely not the most extravagant cosmetic bundle, but it’s guaranteed to impress any fans of the DC universe. Now the January skin has been revealed, it’s up to you whether you cancel your Crew membership for the month or opt to pick up the skin. Either way, Epic is certainly delivering this season on the cosmetic front, let’s hope they continue to release more great skins.

Fortnite: Dance on top of RV’s, Metal Turtle and Submarine challenge guide – Dexerto
Fortnite: Dance on top of RV’s, Metal Turtle and Submarine challenge guide There is one brand new challenge in the first set of weekly challenges for Season 7, requiring players to first ‘Dance on top of a crown of RV’s’ – here’s exactly how to complete it. Stage 1: Dance on top of a crown of RV’s This is a staged challenge, with a total of three or four stages expected, but thankfully the first is pretty straight forward. The name of the challenge is somewhat confusing, but the ‘crown’ of RV’s can be found in the desert biome of the map, south of Paradise Palms. Once you get this location – which is easiest to get to by going directly from the bus and landing there, rather than climbing/building up – you just need to go the center of the RV’s and do an emote. More: Fortnite Season 7 Update: v7.00 patch notes, Iceberg biome, Wraps, Battle Pass, Stormwing plane and more – Stage 2: Dance on top of a Metal Turtle This should instantly reward you with completion of the first stage, but you won’t be finished with the challenge just yet. Next, you will need to ‘Dance on top of a metal turtle’. This giant turtle shaped build can be found in the eastern part of the map, just north of lonely lodge. Stage 3: Dance on top of a Submarine The third and final stage of this challenge will require you to head to the new snow biome area of the map, in the south west. The Submarine is hanging off the edge of the Iceberg, rather than in the water. Again, you are likely best to head here straight after jumping out of the battle bus, as it will be easier to land on top of, rather than building up. Once you have danced at this final location, you will have completed all stages of this challenge. Make sure you play each game out to completion however, as if you leave early your challenge progress might not be saved. More: Fortnite Season 7 map changes – Iceberg, Polar Peak, Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, Ziplines and more from the v7.00 update – You can check out a full guide to all the Season 7, Week 1 challenges here. You will also need to dance at forbidden locations, which you can find a full guide to here.

Fortnite Crew Pack leak reveals Season 3 Battle Pass skins: Darth Vader, more – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew Pack leak reveals Season 3 Battle Pass skins: Darth Vader, more The June 2022 Fortnite Crew Pack has leaked confirming several high-profile characters will be in the Season 3 Battle Pass including Darth Vader and Indiana Jones. Since Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, the Battle Pass menu has maintained a similar layout from season to season. While this makes it easier to fake leaks, some are rather convincing. In late May of 2022, near the end of Chapter 3 Season 2, a professional-looking leak appeared on 4chan claiming to be the Season 3 Battle Pass. It showcased characters like Darth Vader, Indiana Jones, and a couple of previously seen skin concepts. It also featured the June Fortnite Crew Pack skin which was an updated version of the Mecha Team Leader skin. Now that the Crew Pack has officially been revealed, it confirms this leak to be real. RUMOR: FIRST LOOK AT THE CHAPTER 3 – SEASON 3 BATTLE PASS!! This was posted on 4chan last night, the chance of it being fake is EXTREMELY low. pic.twitter.com/CcTMkuELpM — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) May 25, 2022 Crew Pack confirms Darth Vader for Fortnite Season 3 On May 25, notable leaker Shiina shared the leaked image of the Battle Pass. They stated that the chances of it being fake were “extremely low”, but some skeptical players weren’t as convinced. Sometime later, user ItsHexa_ posted a model of the Crew Pack skin pictured in the leak, and Fortnite fans were quick to take this as proof the leak was fake. However, Hexa would later divulge that the model was a remake from the leak, once again making the leak a possibility. Others claimed the leak was fake because they didn’t think Epic Games would release a “reskin” as Crew Pack skin. However, with the Mecha Strike Commander playing a role in the Season 2 finale, it makes sense for it to be in the Crew Pack. But the leaked Season 3 Battle Pass was confirmed on May 31 when data miners revealed the June 2022 Crew Pack skin was in fact the one pictured in the leak. Before the Battle Pass leak, players were already certain Darth Vader and Indiana Jones would be in Fortnite thanks to another leak. However, it also claimed Family Guy’s Peter Griffin would be in Fortnite which made some assume the leak was a joke from Epic Games. With Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 only a few days away, you won’t have to wait long to play as Darth Vader or the adventurous Harrison Ford.

Fortnite Crew members receive free emote as apology for issues: how to redeem – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew members receive free emote as apology for issues: how to redeem Epic GamesIf you were one of the people who signed up for Fortnite Crew and had issues with it when it launched back in December, Epic Games are apologizing for those errors with a free emote. Here’s how you can redeem the offer and get your hands on it. When Fortnite Crew launched back in December 2020, it was largely viewed as a good service in terms of content and value, but was criticized heavily for its buggy launch. Just taking a look on the Fortnite bug Trello board will reveal a slew of issues that have been fixed with the subscription service. Because of this rocky start, Epic Games is apologizing by offering up a free “Members Only” emote, which is only available to subscribers of the Fortnite Crew program. According to Epic, the emote will be given out for free. All players have to do is be subscribed to Fortnite Crew and log in to the game between now and February 15, 2021. After that point, the emote will go away and won’t be able to be earned, at least for the time being. Interestingly enough, Epic mentions that the item might make a return again in the future for subscribers, but offered up no details as to how it’ll be distributed when it comes back. In terms of the emote itself, it’s pretty interesting and looks a bit like a secret handshake, requiring two players to complete it, which makes sense considering it’s only for Fortnite Crew subscribers. https://twitter.com/HYPEX/status/1349801223642345480?s=20 Given the fact that a Fortnite Crew subscription already comes with some cool items like a free battle pass, V-Bucks and a special Crew Pack just for members — an extra item, no matter how small, is a welcome addition, especially after how frustrating it’s launch was. It’ll be interesting to see if the emote makes a comeback but until then, hurry and jump into the game to make sure you secure your free item.

Fortnite Crew Pack fan theory suggests connection to past seasons – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew Pack fan theory suggests connection to past seasons Epic GamesFortnite’s Crew Pack service gives players access to a few interesting items, including a special skin each month – and some fans have seemingly figured out an interesting connection between the exclusive skins and previous seasons. Fortnite’s Crew Pack subscription service has been around for a few months now. Those who are subscribed to it get the current battle pass, 1000 V-Bucks, and an exclusive skin for $11.99. While the community’s feelings on the skins that it comes with each month are a bit mixed, some fans have discovered an interesting link between the service and the game’s past, and it may actually predict the next skin. The theory, which was originally posted by the Twitter account @FortniteJPNews, says that each Crew Pack skin has related to the past seasons in some way, starting with Season 3. While that may seem ridiculous at first, it’s actually not that crazy once you look at the evidence. As the account points out, December’s Crew Pack skin Galaxia had a space theme, which was mirrored in Chapter 1, Season 3. January’s featured was Green Arrow, which is a superhero – not unlike the ones we got in Chapter 1, Season 4’s battle pass. The other seasons also have some sort of connection to the Chapter 1 seasons, all the way up to Season 7, whether they be big or small. A very interesting and seemingly accurate theory about the theme of the Fortnite Crew Packs🤔 Peely variant for May?!?👀🍌 Via @FortniteJPNews & @ShiinaBR pic.twitter.com/sbOrkuS9BX — Fortnite News (@FortINTEL) March 26, 2021 This led them to point out that these connections could mean that May’s Crew Pack skin might be related to Season 8 in some way. That season had a pirate theme, so it’s possible that we’ll get a pirate – or maybe, as some people have speculated, something Peely related, the fan-favorite banana character that’s been seen in promotional material since its release. It’ll be interesting to see if this theory comes to pass or if it’s all just a bunch of lucky coincidences. Either way, only time will tell, as we shouldn’t hear about May’s skin until around a month from now.

Fortnite Crew could get massive upgrades soon: bundles, coupons, more – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew could get massive upgrades soon: bundles, coupons, more Epic GamesA survey from Epic Games may point to some new features coming to the Fortnite Crew subscription, including bundles with streaming services, coupons for the Epic Games Store, and even currency/cosmetics for other games. The reception to Epic Games’ Fortnite Crew subscription service has been a bit mixed since launch. While it’s seen by some as a good deal in terms of what you get for the price you pay, other fans have been critical of the skins that were included in past months, as some don’t feel like they’re exciting enough. Regardless, subscribers might be getting some more content for their dollar if a new survey is any indication and they may be some pretty substantial inclusions if they come to fruition. According to a new leaked survey, originally posted by notable Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, Epic Games is interested in knowing what the community might be included in each Fortnite Crew. It fact, it now seems like they are interested in possibly including benefits for services outside of the battle royale game itself. The most notable inclusion in the survey is the suggestion of bundles with other streaming services, currency and items for other games, and coupons for the Epic Games Store. While the latter wouldn’t be too crazy as Epic, of course, owns the aforementioned storefront, the inclusion of items for other games and streaming services would be a pretty unique offer. With a new survey being sent out, there are even MORE options for future Fortnite Crew features that Epic is deciding. Things such as bundles with the Crew for subscriptions to streaming services, Epic Games Store coupons, STW benefits, and benefits for non-Fortnite games. https://t.co/mS31JpMlDP pic.twitter.com/kxzMB1zjTI — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) April 5, 2021 Of course, this isn’t the first time that Epic has reached out about possibly including more with the service. Back in January, the developer sent out a similar survey to fans, albeit with different choices to choose from. This could mean that Epic quite hasn’t found a notable feature that fans want included or it could just be the fact that they simply want more opinions. Regardless, the benefits for a Fortnite Crew subscription have not changed since it’s original release back in December 2020. Currently, fans can get their hands on an exclusive skin, V-Bucks, and each season’s battle pass for $11.99 a month.

Fortnite Crew explained: Battle Pass skin packs, V-Bucks, price & more – Dexerto
Fortnite Crew explained: Battle Pass skin packs, V-Bucks, price & more Epic GamesStarting with Chapter 2 Season 5, Fortnite will have a brand new subscription service titled Fortnite Crew, which aims to bring a slew of different features that players love, wrapped up into one nice little package. Here’s everything you need to know. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] Season 4 of Fortnite is rapidly coming to an end. The Marvel-themed season has been around for a few months now and in December it will be replaced by Season 5. While we don’t know the full extent of the new season, we do know that it’s set to introduce a brand new service called Fortnite Crew. This subscription-based model, which is a first for Fortnite, is set to introduce a brand new way to get the battle pass each season, while at the same time earning some free goodies to sink your teeth into. But how does it work, how much does it cost, and what does it include? Here’s the breakdown. Fortnite Crew contents The most attractive inclusion in this new subscription service is that of the battle pass. Each month, you’ll get the premium version of the battle pass at no extra cost to you, so long as you’re subscribed to Fortnite Crew. Beyond that, however, you’ll also receive a number of different items beyond the premium battle pass. You’ll also receive 1000 v-bucks and an exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack, which in-and-of-itself includes a skin and a “matching accessory”. Join the Fortnite Crew for access to the current season’s Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks each month, and monthly outfit bundles. Details on the new optional monthly subscription: https://t.co/MQNgffsx5r pic.twitter.com/wi4fzkSgtJ — PlayStation (@PlayStation) November 24, 2020 Fortnite Crew cost According to Epic, the Fortnite Crew subscription service will cost players $11.99 a month. This price makes the service an objectively good deal, as a normal battle pass costs 950 V-bucks, which costs around $8. So for a few extra bucks from the standard price of a battle pass, you’re getting 1000 extra V-bucks, an exclusive skin pack, and the battle pass itself. How to subscribe to Fortnite Crew Subscribing to Fortnite Crew is, apparently, quick and easy. All you have to do is click the icons found in the Fortnite Item Shop or on the battle pass screen, meaning it doesn’t seem like players will have to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get access to the service. In addition, Epic Games also confirmed that fans will be able to cancel their subscription at any time. Presumably, fans will be able to keep all of the items they unlocked through the service up until that point, considering they would have already paid for that month.

Fortnite creator once sent Drake a personal teaser as rapper was “too excited” to wait – Dexerto
Fortnite creator once sent Drake a personal teaser as rapper was “too excited” to wait Instagram: champagnepapi / Twitter: DonaldMustardFortnite creative lead Donald Mustard has revealed he once sent Drake an exclusive teaser after the rapper “spammed” his phone. The former Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, Donald Mustard saw widespread success after Fortnite quickly rose to fame. After “25 years in the game industry” and his name cemented in the history books, Mustard announced on Twitter that he would be retiring earlier this year in September. But it seems he doesn’t plan on going out without a bang, now dishing out and revealing Drake once spammed his phone with text messages, all in hopes of getting some exclusive Fortnite content. “April 28, 2018. I am at my young daughter’s dance recital,” Mustard wrote, setting the scene. “The Comet is going to destroy Dusty Depot (not Tilted lol) the next morning – and set the stage to change EVERYTHING we think of as experiential entertainment (I hope).” As his daughter began to dance on stage in Mustard’s recounting (flossing, to be exact), he claims to have gotten a string of text messages from the God’s Plan rapper; “And then I get a text. And then another. I start getting spammed. By Drake. Yeah. That Drake.” According to Mustard, Drake pleaded to gain some insight into what could be expected, citing he couldn’t sleep or work as he was “just too excited”. “After a few hours and much consideration, I sent him this,” Mustard concluded, adding a clip of a character showing off a now-popularized emote. “Drake the type of guy to ask for next season teasers before the event has even happened,” one person commented in response to Mustard’s tweet. Amused, a second person wrote, “So epic!! Looking forward to more of these; ‘Storytime with Donald’ hopefully along the way!” Be sure to check out all the latest gaming news on our page here.

Fortnite creator goes viral with perfect Star Wars Order 66 Creative 2.0 scene – Dexerto
Fortnite creator goes viral with perfect Star Wars Order 66 Creative 2.0 scene LucasfilmUsing the robust capabilities of Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), commonly known as Creative 2.0, an animator has recreated the iconic Order 66 scene from Star Wars in the game. Fans urge the creator to publish the map into the game after watching the viral clip they posted online. Fortnite’s Creative 2.0 maps are always expanding the range of in-game minigames that animators may make. With the tremendous capabilities afforded by UEFN, animators are creating maps that fans want, whether it’s an exact recreation of Fall Guys or a reimagining of Call of Duty’s Shipment level. Recently, a number of assets from the current Star Wars crossover were made available in UEFN, allowing an animator to make their own take on the iconic Order 66 moment from the franchise as a deathmatch between Clones and the Jedi. A video from one of the players, who had access to the limited beta, was published online and has now gone viral that people can’t get enough of. Viral Creative 2.0 Fortnite map pits Jedi against the Clones in Order 66 deathmatch WayComet, a Twitter user, tweeted a clip of the deathmatch, which has now gone viral thanks to its faithful recreation of the notorious Order 66 scene from the Star Wars prequel films. Fans may recall that in the iconic moment, Sith Lord Palpatine orders his armies to wipe out the Jedi Order, culminating in a clash between the Clones and the Jedi. Since the island is still in development, only a select few gamers have been granted access to the Creative 2.0 map produced by designer Shany. Players are shown battling it out in the corridors of a Star Destroyer, dressed as Clones or the Jedi, in a scene reminiscent of the Galactic Empire and The First Order era. Upon seeing this, a user voiced their opinion about such maps by saying, “Very disappointed they didn’t make some official creative 2.0 maps to go with the collab. This and AOT definitely deserved it.” Players were so amazed by the faithful recreation of BB-8’s design and map architecture that they want it released as soon as possible. However, the map’s designer tweeted that they couldn’t release it because they didn’t match Epic Games’ criteria for joining their Island Creator Program. In addition, it’s important to know that Epic has stringent laws regarding the publication of Creative 2.0 maps that include copyrighted information and that violators risk a permanent suspension from the game.

Fortnite creator makes GTA V mode in Creative 2.0 – Dexerto
Fortnite creator makes GTA V mode in Creative 2.0 DexertoAs Fortnite’s Creative 2.0 mode continues to astound players, a mapmaker has recently shared a work-in-progress on social media that will add a Grand Theft Auto V-style mode to the game. The clip later went viral which further made players excited to play it. Fortnite Creative 2.0 maps represent a major milestone in the game’s creative mode’s evolution. The original Creative mode permitted players to build their own islands, configure game modes, and engage in a variety of activities with their peers. However, Creative 2.0 takes these possibilities to an entirely new level by providing a broader selection of Unreal Engine 5 tools, assets, and features. Fortnite Creative mapmakers are re-creating their own versions of games such as OnlyUp!, Final Fantasy, and Mario Kart using UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite). Recently one of these mapmakers shared their ongoing creation of Los Santos in a mode inspired by GTA V. The creator uploaded a video that went viral after Fortnite players were stunned by its resemblance to the original game. Fortnite creator brings Los Santos and a GTA V mode in Creative 2.0 A Fortnite creator named Ka2aki86 recently shared a few snippets of one of their in-progress maps, which they claim was inspired by Grand Theft Auto V and The Matrix. In the video, the creator is seen driving a Whiplash and riding a Rogue Bike through a city that appears identical to Los Santos. The clip that was shared on X went viral, and players are now demanding that the map be released so they can enjoy GTA V-style gameplay in Fortnite for free. One such player said, “It looks beautiful tbh”. Another one commented, “Where’s the Maze Bank building?”. A third chimed in regarding a major UEFN concern, “How are they resolving copyrights on real buildings? I have a feeling that future cases that incorporate such scans are likely to lead to litigation”. While a fourth added, “I would play Fortnite every second and never touch grass if this was chapter 5 graphics”. While the community was left astounded by the perfect recreation of Los Santos by the map creator, Ka2aki86 shared their thoughts on X by saying (translated from Japanese), “It may not be a dream to make games like Gran Turismo or GTA Online on Fortnite. Let’s try various game plans infinitely by generating other than Shinjuku” and concluding that the map is currently merely a concept.

Fortnite Creative video leaks new plane vehicle coming in Season 7 – Dexerto
Fortnite Creative video leaks new plane vehicle coming in Season 7 Fortnite game files hinting at a new plane vehicle were found in November, but since then nothing has come of them – until the announcement of the new Fortnite Creative mode, which has confirmed a plane is coming soon. Following the v6.22 update for Fortnite Battle Royale, sound files in a vehicle folder with names such as ‘Overhead distant’ and ‘Travel Cue’ hinted that it would be a plane. FNBRLeaks later shared the audio files on Twitter, confirming that they belonged to an aerial vehicle of some kind, named ‘Bumble’. Bumble (Vehicle) Sounds, it’s a plane. pic.twitter.com/og4s83BAqK — Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks (@FNBRLeaks) November 6, 2018 Since then, there has been little indication of the airplane vehicle being added to Fortnite Battle Royale – but it might not be coming at all, instead being added to the new Creative mode. On December 5, Epic Games allowed creators to upload videos showing off Fortnite Creative, and in one of the scenes showing the ‘devices’ menu – a plane was clearly visible. The creators were meant to have the devices menu blurred to prevent new items being shown, but one video hadn’t done this, exposing the new plane vehicle. Update: The airplane vehicle has been further confirmed in the third teaser for Season 7, as a plane can clearly be seen in the background of the image. We won’t know for certain if the vehicle is coming to the battle royale mode as well until Season 7 starts on December 6. However, considering that players already have the ability to make their character fly in Creative mode, it seems unlikely that the addition of an airplane would be limited to Creative only. Season 7 is expected to go live at 09:00 GMT (04:00 EST, 01:00 PST, 20:00 AEDT, 10:00 CET) – so players will get access to the plane and all the other new additions then. You can watch the video from French YouTuber Solary which leaked the plane in Creative mode below.

The latest awesome creation from Fortnite’s creative mode is straight out of the Avengers – Dexerto
The latest awesome creation from Fortnite’s creative mode is straight out of the Avengers Marvel Studios/Epic GamesEver since the introduction of Fortnite’s new Creative Mode, players have been making some pretty impressive creations, but this monster recreation of Tony Stark’s Tower from the Avengers might be the most awesome yet. Fortnite’s new creative mode allows players to make their own custom buildings and map areas using materials already found in the game. Players have already made some crazy structures, but this recreation of Tony Stark’s tower from the Avengers movies might be one of the most impressive so far. The design was posted to /r/FortniteCreative by user Sputeit and features over 50 floors with 20 decorated levels, taking up a whopping 95k of memory Read More: Fortnite player comes up with fantastic idea for how to make pistols more viable and useful – Sputeit even posted a video walkthrough of his giant Tower creation, which he affectionately calls: Tony’s Tower. There’s a rooftop airstrip with Stormwings, a full garage and even office space and a cafeteria for some of the people lower on the totem pole than Mr. Stark. Unfortunately, this creation won’t ever make it into “The Block” for a few reasons, the first being intellectual property rights, even though Epic did have a Thanos-themed LTM, they can’t just go using Avengers properties in Fortnite however they like. The second reason is that structures on “The Block” can’t take up more than 50k in memory, while Tony’s Tower nearly doubles that limit. Since Sputeit isn’t enrolled in the Fortnite Support-a-creator project, there isn’t currently a code for players to access the map, but they said they’re working on getting one, so it may not be long until we see something from Sputeit make it into The Block.

Fortnite community worried rumored proximity chat feature will “doom” Creative – Dexerto
Fortnite community worried rumored proximity chat feature will “doom” Creative Epic GamesAccording to leaks, Fortnite Creative will soon add a proximity chat feature; players fear it will “doom” the game mode. At present, the only way to communicate with other players in Fortnite is through standard voice chat features for people on the same team or in shared lobbies. Rumors of Epic Games potentially adding proximity chat have been circulating for several months, though. Proximity chat functions as the name suggests, letting players use the in-game chat system to hear communications when characters are close to each other. Warzone 2, notably, introduced the feature in 2023, creating situations wherein players can eavesdrop on their enemies and gain a better understanding of their location, plans, etc. Reputable leakers HYPEX and iFireMonkey claim the same functionality will “soon” hit Fortnite Creative. Thus far, the community is divided on whether or not such an addition counts as good or bad news. Some people in the replies to HYPEX’s post have expressed an interest in seeing proximity chat in the main game. “Add it to the main game now,” wrote content creator FNATIC Stallion in all caps. YouTuber Pluto V2 joined the chorus with, “We need this in Pubs ngl.” Not everyone’s on board, however. Several users think proximity chat in Fortnite Creative will prove ruinous for the mode. One person simply responded with, “We are DOOMED.” Others think the new feature will likely result in a massive increase of “accounts getting insta banned.” Of course, there are also concerns about bad actors who will abuse the feature to harass fellow players. One person explained, “Yeah, I just know this is gonna be a horrible idea especially what’s been happening with content creators these days and customs people not behaving, cursing, and being racist.” Such a sentiment was echoed by Fortnite Creator NickEh30 who asked, “Can we keep it family-friendly?” Players remain skeptical as ever, considering the responses to his post. Reads one comment, “I doubt people are going to be family-friendly. Have you seen Call of Duty voice chats?” Though Epic has yet to announce proximity chat, Fortnite players already expect the worst amid backlash to Item Shop changes.

Fortnite Creative mode rips off Roblox’s Brookhaven and fans can’t believe it – Dexerto
Fortnite Creative mode rips off Roblox’s Brookhaven and fans can’t believe it Roblox / Epic GamesBrookhaven RP, one of the most renowned Roblox experiences, has now been replicated in Fortnite’s Creative mode, shocking fans across social media. Here is how closely the Fortnite island resembles the well-known Roblox experience, as well as how fans reacted. Roblox has evolved from its origins as a platform for users to build and play with blocks to its current state as a massive, dynamic ecosystem of user-generated experiences. Among them, Brookhaven RP stands out as the game that has won the hearts of millions of players since the popularity of this dynamic role-playing experience has grown over the years. On the other side, UEFN (Unreal Engine for Fortnite) is a hybrid of Unreal Engine 4 with Fortnite’s Creative Mode and is a direct competitor to Roblox Studio. The sheer number of unique game genres and user experiences possible inside UEFN has left the gaming community in awe. Game creators have made a wide variety of interactive experiences, from puzzle expeditions and escape rooms to lifelike simulations and creations inspired by famous games that include UNO, Only Up, and others. Now, one of the most popular Roblox games, Brookhaven RP, has been copied by another Fortnite creator in Creative mode. Fans of the original game are therefore astonished. Roblox’s Brookhaven fans surprised at its Fortnite Creative copy A recent X post by the Roblox streamer KreekCraft indicates that Brookhaven RP has made its way to Fortnite. Upon seeing the copied title, he jokes about a prospective collaboration between the two games. The streamer then demonstrates how Brookhaven is also presently one of the best UEFN experiences in Fortnite. Wolfpaq Games created the original Brookhaven experience on Roblox, while bdd created its Fortnite rip-off. Therefore, fans speculate that Wolfpaq did not grant permission for the Fortnite Creative replica game bdd created. In addition, Fortnite’s DMCA strikes are significantly more lenient than Roblox’s, causing Brookhaven fans to be even more outraged by the existence of such copies in UEFN and their increasing popularity there. One such fan said, “I’m surprised they haven’t gotten copyrighted yet.” Another one chimed in, “It’s crazy how Fortnite can get away with clear copyright violations, but Roblox gets destroyed by DMCA.” A third user added while highlighting another popular Roblox game in Fortnite, “I see Phasmophobia there. It’s about time we played again (in Fortnite).” While there has been no official word from Wolfpaq Games on the situation, Fortnite players are enjoying the popular Roblox game in UEFN (Island Code: 8794-8292-7360).
