Fortnite fan recreates Sub Base from Modern Warfare 2 in Creative Mode Epic Games / Infinity WardAn iconic location from a legendary iteration of the Call of Duty franchise found a new life in Fortnite Creative as a nostalgic fan took the task of building the entire map with incredible accuracy. Epic Games released Fortnite Creative on December 6 that gave its players the ability to take as many in-game resources needed to build or recreate scenes limited only by their imagination, and one player took things back to 2009. Twitch streamer FirstCrimson took on the task of remaking Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer map Sub Base in the extensive sandbox, resulting in an impeccable design that carries the essence of the familiar warzone. FirstCrimson’s recreation features all of the twists and turns one would find in the snowy base, including the dreaded Courtyard where most firefights seemed to funnel, Catwalks that connect to higher levels of the map, the alleys on the outskirts of the base where many-a-flag-carrier met their doom, and much more. The streamer posted a walkthrough of the map on Reddit and dubbed the video with a classic track from Modern Warfare 2, perfectly capping off the introduction for the map. Just like the Infinity Ward created location, the reimagining has settings that cater to both long-distance fights and close quarter buildings that bring a multifaceted approach to combat. According to FirstCrimson, it took him around 30 hours to make his creation suited for both Free-For-All or Deathmatch modes. The map is an astonishing display of persistence, but it is even more telling of the freedom Fortnite Creative can give to creators.

Now, a Creative map that has transformed the game into an “insane” RPG mode has received high praise from the community and has since gone viral. Fortnite players “blown away” by viral RPG Creative map Fortnite player Phantom Zeen revealed a clip of them playing the RPG map to Twitter/X: “They got me f*cked up playing an RPG in Fortnite.” The short video shows them running around the user-created world that depicts a typical village you will find among many RPG games, such as Zelda. This was complete with classic sounds, light-hearted background music, notifications, UI, and even in-game NPCs with their dialogue. Players soon flooded in with praise, as one said: “Fortnite has come such a long way. I never thought I’d see the day,” to which another responded: “Oh I can’t wait to see what Fortnite becomes.” Those who have already played the RPG mode confirmed it was as good as it looked: “I was playing this the other day and I was blown away. What the hell is Fortnite (it’s awesome).” While others expanded on the idea and stated “Imagine a whole Pokemon game recreated in Fortnite comes next.” With players, creators, and even companies developing fully immersive games, maps, and modes, Fortnite’s Creative 2.0 and UEFN tools look set to keep pushing the boundaries even further. One major company that has brought their major collab to life to kick off 2024 is KSI and Logan Paul’s Prime map.

Fortnite director hints at upcoming map changes and next in-game event – Dexerto
Fortnite director hints at upcoming map changes and next in-game event Epic GamesCreative director working on Fortnite at Epic Games, Donald Mustard, may have hinted towards the next major map changes in the Battle Royale mode. The map has already undergone plenty of changes since the game’s release in late 2017, with multiple in-game events almost making the current iteration unrecognizable to early fans of Fortnite. Mustard, who has been known for hinting towards in-game events and even map changes in the past, may have just revealed the next changes that will be made and potentially the next in-game event location. Donald often uses his Twitter profile’s location section to drop fans some cryptic hints about what changes they will see next, and has changed over the past week from potential clues such as “Preparing” and “Planning” to now, where it is currently set as “Pressure Plant.” Many fans initially believed that the Pressure Plant location would play a role in the “Cattus event,” which included the monster which was released from beneath Polar Peak, although it appears as if the Volcano will be next in line for some changes. 600Fortnite leaks page, FortTory, also shared an image which had many players speculating that Donald’s clues may be accurate after all. The image was of one of the locked Fortbyte collectibles which was located within Pressure Plant and that the Fortbyte was only “Accessible with Bot Spray inside a Robot Factory.” “Accessible inside a Robot Factory”. Located at Pleasure Plant. So they are building an Army of robots? Or just one big Robot which can defeat the cattus. I guess we will see Pleasure Plant evolve into a kind of Robot Factory in the next few days. pic.twitter.com/3uiuom95D2— FortTory :island: – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) June 28, 2019 FortTory, along with many fans are now beginning to speculate that Pressure plant will slowly transform into a robot factory over the coming days. Fortnite Creative Director hints at creation of official Slurp Juice soda – Dexerto
Fortnite Creative Director hints at creation of official Slurp Juice soda In a single emoji reply to a tweet, Epic Game’s creative director opened the possibility to a future Fortnite-branded soda. The company has already made real-world counterparts to items and objects from Fortnite such as a life-size replica of the Battle Bus and Llama Pinatas in various real-world locations. Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard tweeted his enthusiasm for the idea of a soda beverage named Slurp Juice, to which Worldwide Creative Director at Epic Games, Donald Muster replied with a lonesome ‘thinking face’ emoji. It’s not much to go off of, but taking inspiration from in-game items and translating them into real life is something Epic Games is familiar with doing in the past. The minds behind Fortnite offered a special greenish-blue brew for Twitchcon 2018, aptly named Slurp Juice. The drink was exclusive to a singular, small booth and only for Twitchcon-goers, but the idea could carry onto something more permanent. Read more: Fortnite: The first Season 7 teaser has been released and a snow map looks more likely than ever – As far as investment, it wouldn’t be too far from the realm of possibilities for Epic Games to hop on board. The company famously went ahead to pledge $100,000,000 into Fortnite prize pools for the 2018-2019 season. Fortnite has seen astronomical success and has been widely recognized by prominent figures and groups outside of gaming. With the international notoriety of the game and proven public interest in idea, a Slurp Juice soda might actually come to fruition. The game’s marketing has already spilled over to other facets in life such as merchandise, Monopoly games, llama plushies, Nerf guns and more so adding a drink to an already tall order wouldn’t hurt.

Fortnite Creative 2.0 content policy spells end for Mario Kart and Call of Duty maps – Dexerto
Fortnite Creative 2.0 content policy spells end for Mario Kart and Call of Duty maps Unreal Engine for Fortnite offers creative players near limitless potential with custom map making, but Epic Games is banning players from recreating the intellectual property of others in Creative 2.0. On March 22, Epic Games released Unreal Engine for Fortnite, a new suite of tools that allows players to create custom maps like never before. And alongside its launch, players were provided with a few experiences showing off the capabilities of UEFN. These sparked the imagination of creative players, and with the ability to upload models directly into UEFN, players got to work bringing their favorite games to life inside Fortnite. Within 24 hours, players recreated Rust from CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and Toad Harbor from Mario Kart. However, Epic Games was quick to warn players that their actions could result in permanent bans. This follows the announcement that players creating the OG Fortnite map can’t profit from their recreation. Epic Games warns Fortnite Creative 2.0 players The blog post titled “Reminder of Fortnite’s content policies and enforcement” did just that. With the hype surrounding Creative 2.0 and players showing off their remakes, Epic Games used the blog to steer players away from infringing on copyrighted materials. “All content in Fortnite must adhere to Fortnite’s game rating, Fortnite Island Creator Rules and intellectual property and DMCA guidelines,” EG wrote, “Those who create violating content in UEFN – even if they never intend to publish it in Fortnite – or share violating content on social media, will face content takedowns and enforcement actions, up to and including permanent account bans.” This second statement was the one that took players by surprise. Even if a player does not intend to publish a map, Epic Games has made it clear that they can still have their account banned if they use assets from someone else’s intellectual property. Lucas7yoshi – creator of the Mario Kart track above – has already stated they won’t publish the map for “obvious reasons.” However, according to Epic Games, that may not be enough to keep them safe. Lucas stated in a separate post, “Contemplating if I should delete the nondescript Italian plumber cart stuff, but it’s been republished and viewed elsewhere more than my own post, so it’s not like it’d do anything.” And again, according to the blog post, even sharing the violation on social media without publishing the map is enough for them to enforce consequences. Meaning even if players can recreate their favorite games inside of Unreal Engine for Fortnite, they can’t even share their concepts on social media for fear of receiving a permanent ban.

Fortnite leak reveals ‘Creative 2.0’ features to create NPCs, control Storm, and more – Dexerto
Fortnite leak reveals ‘Creative 2.0’ features to create NPCs, control Storm, and more Epic GamesA new batch of Fortnite leaks has revealed a bit more of what could be in the works for ‘Creative 2.0’ that looks to introduce huge customization features like making NPCs, changing the Storm, and more. Epic Games have been making major changes to its battle royale with modes and updates that fans have been asking for a long time. The studio is currently riding the successful integration of its Fortnite Zero Build that took away the game’s distinguishing feature. Both casual and longtime players had a lot of great things to say about it and, now, Epic are going to try to recreate that with the popular Creative mode. The studio has been preparing to unveil its revamped map/mode editor, which fans dubbed ‘Creative 2.0,’ as some details have apparently found itself online. > Events that fire off when pretty much anything in the game happens so you have full control of everything > Changing game phases > Loading and using game widgets > Loading game assets at runtime > Full control of building > Cars > Live team and player statistics pic.twitter.com/olt5lzr9kf— InTheShade (@InTheShadeYT) June 11, 2022 Notable Fortnite leaker ‘InTheShade’ found a slew of code that could hint as to what the Creative overhaul might entail that will give players “full control of pretty much everything.” From setting events across different parts of a match to inserting NPCs anywhere on the map, along with different actions and emotes to perform, there’s a lot of customization to configure a game how players see fit. InTheShade found that Epic is referring to this “scripting language named ‘Verse’ for Creative 2.0” which allows for an insane amount of editing. This could even lend itself to the different types of gameplay players can invent with tools that lets you “control what happens when a player sees or looks away from another player or device.” > Adding and controlling particle systems > Control of audio, lights, physics, gravity, etc > Modifying objects to change their, mesh, material or animation > Making animations play (I’m assuming custom ones as well) > Modifying, removing, and adding gameplay tags pic.twitter.com/dexpzcBQbp— InTheShade (@InTheShadeYT) June 11, 2022 That got people thinking about Fortnite’s Among Us mode called Trust Nobody which took the classic battle royale and turned it on its head. Fortnite’s community has done insane things with Creative since its launch and it looks like Epic are ready to unleash a whole new beast for players to comb over once again.

Where to find the crashed plane’s black box in Fortnite: location guide – Dexerto
Where to find the crashed plane’s black box in Fortnite: location guide Epic GamesYou’ll need to find the crashed plane’s black box to complete Fortnite’s Season 5 Week 9 challenges. Here’s where you can locate it, complete with a handy map. Another week of Fortnite action means another set of weekly challenges to complete. If you’re looking to upgrade your Battle Pass with XP, ticking off these quests is arguably the fastest (and easiest) way to do it. While other quests this week require players to complete more generic actions like dealing damage in water and shaking down IO Guards, this location-specific quest requires you to find the crashed plane’s black box. So where is the crashed plane on The Island? Well, that’s exactly what we’re here to answer. Crashed plane location in Fortnite Season 5 To find the crashed plane, you’ll want to head towards the northwesternmost point of the map, and land on an island next to the Coral Castle point of interest. We’ve marked the exact location on the map above. You may have visited this location previously, as there’s some semi-decent loot to be found. The area is likely to be slightly busier during this week, as other players attempt to complete the challenge themselves. Where is the black box in Fortnite? The plane is split into three parts, and the black box will be near the middle section. Once you’ve landed on the island, head to the area seen in the screenshot below, and the black box should appear right there. Interact with it, and you’ll earn 20,000 XP for your efforts. In case you didn’t know, a ‘black box’ is another way of referring to a flight recorder, which is placed inside a plane to help investigate any aviation incidents or accidents. Could this tie into the wider Fortnite story? As it was recently revealed that Stealthy Stronghold was introduced purely for the Predator crossover, we wouldn’t be surprised if other locations end up having some kind of story reveal attached to them. It’s also worth pointing out that black boxes in real life are typically painted bright orange, not black as the name suggests. Keep this in mind when you’re looking for the item to complete this week’s challenge. If you’re looking to rack up that XP to fill out your Battle Pass or simply level up, check out our Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 challenges guide for more quests to complete.

Fortnite ‘Cracken’ earthquake event leaked – will Tilted Towers be destroyed? – Dexerto
Fortnite ‘Cracken’ earthquake event leaked – will Tilted Towers be destroyed? Data miners have found evidence that Season 7 of Fortnite will come to an end with an in-game event called ‘Cracken’, likely an earthquake, and there are hints that Tilted Towers will be damaged or perhaps destroyed in the process. Speculation about a possible earthquake shaking things up in Fortniter for Season 8 began after the v7.30 update, and soon after players began even feeling small tremors in game. A number of leaks from the game files indicated something about an earthquake, but it was all pretty vague – until the v7.40 update, the final patch for Season 7, which has given us new details. Labelled ‘Cracken’, the game files have a number of clues which can help us determine what exactly Epic Games have planned for the transition from Season 7 to Season 8. Data miner @Lucas7yoshi_, who has uncovered various reliable Fortnite leaks in the past, has shared new files which he discovered after the v7.40 update, including ‘Cracken_City’ and ‘Cracken_Effect’. Paired with a file named ‘S8LeadupEvents’, this ‘Cracken’ is likely the earthquake which is on its way, and the ‘city’ is almost certainly linked to Tilted Towers, the only City-like location on the Fortnite map. There were a further three game files too, which appear to be linked to the impending earthquake, and include the words ‘Debris’ and ‘Collapse’. @Lucas7yoshi_ has now uncovered even more files relating to the Cracken event, with names such as ‘CrackProgressionSeconds’ and ‘CrackProgressionDistance’. These suggest that the cracks may in fact be visible on the map during the event. There are still two weeks left of Season 7, which has been extended due to the 2018 holiday period, before Season 8 begins on February 28/March 1. Whatever this Cracken event is, expect to see it begin to take shape in the lead up to Season 8.

Fortnite cracks down on creators scamming players with fake rewards – Dexerto
Fortnite cracks down on creators scamming players with fake rewards Epic GamesFortnite has announced they are cracking down and issuing bans among other punishments for creators that “scam” other players with fake rewards to get them to support their Creative maps. Ever since Fortnite players were allowed to become partnered creators and earn money through monetization of their own Creative maps, UEFN-developed maps have become highly competitive. This has led to certain creators leaving behind their love for simply creating inventive and fun maps for the community. Instead, a growing trend has been these partnered players exploiting creative maps to drive traffic by any means to try make them popular on Fortnite Discover and rake in the cash. Epic Games has revealed in an official statement to their Twitter/X account that they are going to be cracking down further on those that go as far as scamming players by violating their policies: “Reminder: Tricking players by asking them to like or favorite an island for a fake reward isn’t cool and is a violation of our rules. “These are scams and we won’t allow it. Creators should remove these elements ASAP to avoid an overall bad time. Our moderation team will be escalating penalties – including impacts to monetization, removal of islands, and account suspension.” Epic further clarified that simply putting details such as “Like and Favorite to support me” in the descriptions of creator-made maps is still “fine.” But, the actual act of trying to scam or trick players with false promises is against the official Fortnite guidelines. One of Fortnite’s biggest creators SypherPK, who has his own Icon Series skin in the game, praised the changes: “Thank you. I think very specific rulings need to be put in place so people know where the line is. Encouraging players to like and favorite vs tricking players to like and favorite.”

Fortnite: CouRage suggests one simple change to stop hackers in Pop-Up Cup – Dexerto
Fortnite: CouRage suggests one simple change to stop hackers in Pop-Up Cup Fortnite’s ongoing Pop-Up Cup has been plagued with hackers, with top professional players and streamers being targeted, but CouRage has a simple idea to help curb the problem. Due to the matchmaking system in the Pop-Up Cup, which is based on points earned by eliminations and wins, these hackers will often find themselves in lobbies with the very best players in the world. This results in top professional players like FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak experiencing more hackers than the average player – running into six in one session, as Cloak states in the clip below – which also demonstrates how blatant the cheating is. The issue of players using aimbots is not a new thing in Fortnite – Tfue in fact lost to a blatant cheater in the recent Winter Royale event – but it seems Epic has still not found an effective method to stamp it out. Popular streamer and caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop may have devise the perfect plan however. He suggests that when the issue of hacking is so blatant, as it is in many of these instances, there should be a ‘submissions spot’. This could be used by players competing in the upper tiers of the Pop-Up Cup, and would require a small team at Epic dedicated to reviewing and then instantly banning any obvious cheating. Saw many clips like this from today’s Pop-Up Cup These losers are guaranteed to get into pro level lobbies filled with streamers due to how the queues work During Pop-Up Cups, Epic should have a submissions spot for BLATANT cheaters like this to be instantly banned on the spot. pic.twitter.com/RYno72u45X — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 24, 2018 Given just how brazen some of these examples of using aimbot are, it would not only help to reduce the number of hackers, but also discourage players from trying hacks, or banned players from returning with new accounts. With tens of millions already given out in Fortnite tournaments, and tens of millions more to come, Epic will need to focus their efforts on preventing cheats, especially if they plan to continue having open qualifiers played online in public servers. Moving into 2019, the Fortnite World Cup is on the horizon, and Epic will want to avoid it being ruined by cheats and hackers at all costs.

Fortnite could soon let you watch TikToks directly in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite could soon let you watch TikToks directly in-game Epic Games/TikTokNew Fortnite leaks show a possible new feature that would let players watch videos from platforms like TikTok directly in-game. Prominent Fortnite leaks account, HYPEX, shared screenshots of leaked code on Twitter/X. The code refers to a new feature labeled as “PictureInPictureAction” with options to play, pause, like, unlike, and even report videos. “This also has an “Advert” widget (maybe ads?), and one of the platforms might be TikTok” the leaker said alongside the screenshot of the feature’s code. Epic has implemented a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature before. It first debuted during the 2019 Fortnite World Cup. The feature allowed players to watch World Cup matches during their own live games. However, the previous version didn’t allow players to like or report a video viewed using it. It also showed up by default, and players needed to use a function in the pause menu to turn it off. The new version teased in the leak, looks like a more robust system. Commenting on this possible new version of the Picture-in-Picture mode, HYPEX described it as something which “might be good for slow & single player modes/maps”. The leaker also thought it could be useful for players with a single monitor. However, they weren’t keen on the idea of it being used in competitive play. “If someone uses it in a BR match then they literally got brainrot,” they said.

Fortnite could be getting a Capture the Flag mode, according to this leak – Dexerto
Fortnite could be getting a Capture the Flag mode, according to this leak A new Fortnite Battle Royale leak claims that a new ‘Seize’ 50 vs 50 Limited Time Mode (LTM) will be coming to the game in the near future. Limited Time Modes are one of the key features of Fortnite, providing interesting and innovative ways of playing the game that help to break up the day-to-day grind of the standard battle royale mode. But the new ‘Seize Pack’ files, that the data mining account known as @FNLeak has leaked, could be the first evidence of a completely new LTM concept. According to @FNLeak, ‘Seize Pack’ is also called a ‘Flag’, which suggests that the new 50 vs 50 mode will be some form of Capture the Flag (CTF): According to the data miners, there is a possibility that the mode will never see the light of day, and if it does we will probably be waiting for a few weeks as the files are currently incomplete. “It’s possible the playlist won’t come out, and if it does it won’t be for a few weeks since the flag item appears to be only somewhat complete,” they say. Read More: Team Liquid’s Poach dethroned as Fortnite player to win the most amount of money – Top 10 earnings list – Capture the Flag is a classic gamemode in multiplayer first person shooters that usually involves taking an opponent’s flag and escaping with it back to your own base. CouRage explains why Season 7’s new items are ruining Fortnite – Dexerto
CouRage explains why Season 7’s new items are ruining Fortnite The past few weeks have been a polarizing time in Fortnite Battle Royale, especially among the well-known professional players and content creators. Epic Games have added, removed, and changed things in Fortnite that have fundamentally altered the way the game is played, and while some are fans of these changes, many are not. With the more prominent members of the player-base having a strong presence and loud voice on social media, Twitch, and YouTube, it’s easy for them to express their feelings regarding the new content, and most have been frustrated and annoyed, especially at some of the new items. According to popular streamer and Fortnite caster Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, the pro players’ and content creators’ frustrations dwell from the fact that many of these new items make the game easier for the lesser skilled players. “I think the reason why many streamers/[pro players feel frustrated at the state of Fortnite currently is because all the new items in the game lower the skill gap,” he tweeted. “Planes, dynamite, and boom boxes all let bad players get away with getting kills they don’t deserve.” I think the reason why many streamers/pro players feel frustrated at the state of Fortnite currently is because all the new items in the game lower the skill gap… Planes, dynamite, and boom boxes all let bad players get away with getting kills they don’t deserve. — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) January 4, 2019 There are, of course, two ways to look at what CouRage is saying. It’s easy to agree with his argument because many pro players and content creators have dedicated so much of their time to master the game, only to find themselves having to adapt to and re-learn the meta because of new, non-competitive items, weapons, and vehicles. That being said, Epic have also made it crystal clear that they plan to keep the competitive and casual spheres of the game as tightly intertwined as possible, which means that competitive players must learn to expect the unexpected when it comes to major in-game changes. We have seen definite examples of this in the past, with Epic adding the glider redeploy mechanic, controversial Infinity Blade sword, and the Boom Box all within days of massive competitions set to take place for immense amounts of money. Whether or not Epic will ever change their stance regarding this general issue remains to be seen, and they have appeased the competitive community in the past when they removing the Cube Monsters before the finals of the $10 million Fall Skimish series at Twitchcon and the recent vaulting of the Infinity Blade. However, as far as CouRage claiming that “players are getting away with getting kills they don’t deserve,” perhaps the whole point of adding these items, at least from Epic’s point of view, is to decrease the skill gap and offer lesser players a way to enjoy themselves without having to constantly get overpowered by high level players. Update: CouRage went on to discuss the matter via his stream, and showed his Tweet was not posted lightly.

Fortnite could be adding Titanfall-style Wall-Running in Chapter 5 – Dexerto
Fortnite could be adding Titanfall-style Wall-Running in Chapter 5 Respawn Entertainment / MustardPlaysWith Chapter 4 Season 3 coming to a close shortly, rumors about the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 5 have already begun to move around, beginning with a potential Titanfall-inspired Wall Running mechanic. Here’s everything we know so far. Fortnite’s dynamic and adaptable movement mechanics set it apart from the competition as the battle royale genre grew over the years. When it was first released in September 2017, the Battle Royale’s movement mechanics were quite basic, following the industry standard at the time. Nonetheless, as time progressed, movements such as Sprinting, Sliding, Mantling, and Swinging were added to the game to distinguish it from others. With the most recent Chapter 4 update, players received a short-lived movement mechanic called Hurdling, that enabled them to maintain momentum while sprinting. However, in the upcoming Chapter 5, which is still a few months away, leaks indicate the introduction of a new Titanfall-inspired movement mechanic to Fortnite. Fortnite could add Wall-Running and Wall-Kicking in Chapter 5 According to renowned Fortnite dataminer ShiinaBR, Epic Games is presently testing a wall-running and wall-kicking movement mechanic that will be implemented in Chapter 5. The mechanic is inspired by the popular first-person shooter Titanfall by Respawn, which features dynamic movement during gameplay. A few months ago, it was speculated that such a mechanic could be introduced to Fortnite. Now, credible sources have leaked information about a current playtest being conducted by Epic Games after the release of the 25.20 patch. In the past, Fortnite has introduced a new movement mechanic with nearly every new Chapter, and the community expects Chapter 5 to follow suit. Wall-running is a straightforward concept in Titanfall: players can sprint towards a wall, jump onto it, and then run along its surface using momentum. In addition, the wall-kicking mechanic will enable players to carry that momentum in the form of a kick, similar to the slide kick already available in Fortnite. As Epic Games has not yet confirmed any of the above, it is fair to assume that it’s merely speculation. However, since rumors of such an addition have been circulating among credible sources for quite some time, Fortnite players may eventually receive an exciting movement mechanic to enhance their gameplay experience.

Fortnite cosplayers stun fans with incredible take on default skin – Dexerto
Fortnite cosplayers stun fans with incredible take on default skin This cosplaying duo has shared their perfect take on the classic default Ramirez skin that many Fortnite players will have used in-game. Fortnite is one of the most popular games of all time and many of the battle royale’s fans have attempted to recreate some of their favorite characters in real life. Most of the Fortnite cosplays often look to tackle some of the most popular skins that were released in-game, however, none might be as iconic as the default skin of Ramirez. Ramirez’ character was among the first soldiers introduced to Fortnite’s ‘Save The World’ co-op campaign and is available to battle royale players in many different skin variations. Cosplayer Allybross and her friend Hunter Rae decided to bring this iconic character to life with an incredibly accurate cosplay partnership, which they shared to Reddit just after Christmas, where it received plenty of praise. The pair originally made the cosplay for Halloween, and shared photos of their work on the outfits, complete with their own back-bling and weapon props to go along with it. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4TCkgZl_ax/ The cosplaying duo wielded replicas of the Tactical shotgun, Scar Assault rifle and the classic Pickaxe that are found in the popular game. Despite being one of the longest-standing characters in-game, it is not often that fans of the battle royale portray the character in her default form. This is not the first time that Allybross has portrayed a character from Fortnite, as the cosplayer has also recreated a variation of the legendary Calamity skin which was released in Season 6, or Rook from Season 5. Many other fans of the battle royale have also cosplayed some of the game’s most popular characters, you can check out some others in our top 10 best Fortnite cosplays here.

Fortnite cosplayer pulls off perfect Zoey outfit – Dexerto
Fortnite cosplayer pulls off perfect Zoey outfit Epic GamesOne dedicated Fortnite fan has impressed with her Zoey cosplay, perfectly channeling the well-known Season 4 skin from the game’s first chapter. Given Fortnite’s third-person mechanic, the appeal of in-game character skins has remained a constant. From skins included in the battle pass to those only available through the Item Shop, Epic have included a huge variety of skins for players to use. Some of these skins have become well known for their rarity while others, like the Leviathan skin, have become well known for their bizarre aesthetics. The Zoey outfit was released as part of Chapter One’s fourth season, as a skin unlockable via the Battle Pass. Players may not be accustomed to seeing Zoeys running around Chapter 2’s newly flooded map, but they were certainly a common sight in their inaugural season, and the seasons that followed. On June 26, one cosplayer – Redditor ‘RedPolina‘ – shared their awesome recreation of the Zoey skin, complete with a candied pink cap and the pigtails. Some users commented on the Halloween pumpkin being a few months early, but feedback was generally very positive. The post sits at over 1,200 upvotes as of the time of writing. “Actually a nice cosplay that looks like the character,” one Reddit user commented. “Don’t see those everyday”. Despite Fortnite’s immense popularity, cosplayers have not been as prolific as some thought they would be. However, that hasn’t stopped a select few from sharing some truly awesome looks, including this Cuddle Team Leader cosplay we brought to you back in May. This Zoey skin joins a small group of cosplayers who are able to bring Fortnite’s truly unique aesthetic to life.

Already in Season 4, fans have the chance to get bundles such as the Street Serpent Starter Pack and the Samurai Scrapper Pack, but the newest set – the Corrupted Legends pack – might just be the best yet. Fortnite Corrupted Legends cosmetics The all-new pack was revealed following the v14.10 update by a number of leakers, including iFireMoneky and ShookPA, keeping in line with the Samurai theme of the previous cosmetic bundles. This one contains three skins – Arachne, Insight, and Shogun – as well as three unique back blings that fit each character – Long Legs, Sight Sligh, and Bladed Wings. Though, it’s the skin styles that will catch the eye as the three skins can go from the light to extremely dark side in the blink of eye – with each being able to go from a bright white to a deep dark red. Fortnite Corrupted Legends pack release date & price Though the photo above might show the price as $16.99, that’s purely a placeholder from ShookPA and should be set to change somewhat prior to release. Previous bundles have differed in prices, with some being $20, others being $18, and more recently $15.99. Some have suggested that this Corrupted Legends Pack could even be $24.99, but we’ll have to wait and see on that front. As for a release date, no leaker has been able to pinpoint that at the time of writing, so you’ll just have to keep an eye on the Item Shop in the coming days and weeks.

How to open Fortnite Cosmic Chests & where to find them Epic Games / HYPEXFortnite‘s new season has dropped, bringing The Cube to the map. Alongside the return of Kevin the Cube and the likes of the Carnage skin in Season 8 are Cosmic Chests, which expands upon the new Fortnite mechanic introduced in the previous season. Cosmic Chests were introduced into the game back in Fornite Season 7, giving players a new lootable chest type to find around the map. In that season, players needed to work together to open them, and it’s the same in Season 8. As more information is revealed about the chest and its locations in Season 8, we’ll update you right here. Contents How to open Cosmic Chests – Cosmic Chest contents – Where to find Cosmic Chests – Map of all Cosmic Chest locations – How to open Cosmic Chests In Season 8, this chest type builds on the existing chests already in-game, and can only be found in Duos, Squads, & Trios. Fortnite copies Apex Legends again with new Season 2 feature – Dexerto
Fortnite copies Apex Legends again with new Season 2 feature Epic Games / EAApex Legends players are mocking Epic Games for copying Respawn with a new feature coming to Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 2… and not for the first time. Respawn’s surprise release in February 2019 featured a number of inventive features, never seen before in battle royales — such as respawning and a ping communication system. The developers introduced a title that would change the landscape of the battle royale genre forever, by launching a game that was both triple-A quality while presenting a plethora of innovative features. Respawn beacons, a non-verbal ping system and jumptowers. These are all features that Epic Games have nabbed from Respawn’s innovative team (so far), by applying a fresh lick of paint and spinning them off as their own. Now we can add Loot Vaults to that list. Loot Vaults host a mixture of Epic and Legendary loot that can only be accessed when a player holds a Vault Key in their inventory. Fortnite recently received a vault system as part of the changes that came with its second season. Straight out of Apex Legends’ playbook, the vault system works by the same means as those you’d find while roaming World’s Edge. And players were quick to throw Epic Games under the proverbial Battle Bus, as they poked fun at Fortnite’s development team on the Apex Legends subreddit. While one Reddit user resorted to paraphrasing the dialogue from Marty’s iconic scene in Back to the Future, others used more literal memes. Another user used the classic ‘can I copy your homework?’ meme to reflect just how much both vault features appear alike. Another Redditor took a jab at Epic Games’ development team by using the popular ‘write that down’ meme from the scene where SpongeBob and Patrick are watching Squidward while writing down his actions. Of course, Epic Games have largely innovated the battle royale realm by their own accord, with the features that they’ve introduced (such as the building mechanic). However, Apex Legends’ faithful community has a canny eye and noticed the trend that is beginning to develop. Who knows, perhaps Fortnite will be getting their very own version of Lifeline in an upcoming update? Oh wait… Of course, with all that being said, Fortnite has done its bit for the gaming community as whole. After adopting a season-based model for their content delivery – with the option of a seasonal battle pass – many developers followed in Epic Games’ footsteps. So jokes aside, the free-to-play title deserves an abundance of credit.

Fortnite Continues to Win the Battle Against PUBG on Mobile With Impressive Revenue Figures – Dexerto
Fortnite Continues to Win the Battle Against PUBG on Mobile With Impressive Revenue Figures Fortnite is continuing to win the battle with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds when it comes to mobile revenue and playerbase. 12 months ago you would have been laughed at for saying that a new battle royale game would have a chance of dethroning PUBG at any point in the foreseeable future. However, the meteoric rise in popularity for Fortnite Battle Royale after its release in September of 2017 soon saw it become the new king of the battle royale genre and it doesn’t look likely to relinquish that spot any time soon. The two games are also competing with one another on mobile and a new report from Bloomberg, using the most recent data from SensorTower, suggests that Fortnite is still winning that battle, too. The data in question includes all the major markets except for China, which is mostly closed off, and shows that Fortnite is beating PUBG in terms of money spent every single week, although the gap has lessened slightly of late. With Season 5 of the Battle Pass due to begin in Fortnite on July 12th, it is likely that we will see another huge spike in spending around that time which will help it pull away from PUBG yet again. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-04/fortnite-s-pulling-away-in-a-matchup-of-world-s-hottest-games Interestingly, more than 60% of the gross revenue that Fortnite on mobile has made so far comes from the United States, while PUBG’s comes from a wider range of sources with Japan and South Korea both contributing large amounts. While PUBG shows no signs of conceding to Fortnite Battle Royale, it is also worth noting that Fortnite is still relying on revenue from iOS only. When the game is eventually released on Android, it seems likely that it will race ahead even further. For the full data breakdown, graphs, and analysis, check out the original report from Bloomberg.

Fortnite controller aim assist on PC nerfed yet again in Season 3 update – Dexerto
Fortnite controller aim assist on PC nerfed yet again in Season 3 update Epic GamesAmongst all the fanfare of Fortnite’s colossal drop of new content in Season 3, a small change has been made that’ll bring a smile to mouse and keyboard players. Controller aim assist is once again getting nerfed on PC. Aim assist on PC has been a controversial issue in Fortnite for months. Keyboard and mouse players flocked to the sticks in droves after it was discovered just how much of an “aimbot” controller aim assist was on the platform. However, a new nerf in Season 3 to aim assist might just bring players back to the more traditional PC setup. Aim assist isn’t just getting a tiny hotfix, but it’s getting absolutely demolished in this patch. According to Fortnite data miner Lucas7yoshi, aim assist once again took a big hit in the Season 3 update, much to the dismay of controller players. The strength of the “pull” of aim assist has been cut significantly for both ADS and hipfire. While the values are somewhat arbitrary, it’s been a cut of around 30% across the board, which is a significant amount. The changes to aim assist will force controller players on PC to be more precise with their aiming, and be less forgiving if they are off the mark. Aim assist has been nerfed again in Season 3 pic.twitter.com/COgkdIVxpm — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) June 17, 2020 It comes after aim assist was secretly nerfed in a v12.61 hotfix back in May. It dropped the strength of the pull of aim assist significantly. While it still aided players a fair amount for being on the ball, as soon as their crosshair strayed away, controller aim faltered. This didn’t stop players from picking up the sticks in droves, although it did turn some people away. These new changes should put a stop to it all. Read more: How to get Aquaman skin in Fortnite Season 3 – It should also be noted that these changes are for PC players only. Xbox, Switch, and PS4 players should notice no difference with how aim assist works on their respective platforms. Fortnite Season 3 added a host of new content to the mega-popular battle royale, including a new battle pass, new map, new cosmetics, and even new vehicles. After weeks of delay, the community have gotten what they asked for, and more. For all the latest Fortnite Season 3 breaking news on release day, be sure to stick with Dexerto.

Fortnite conspiracy theorists think the bus driver is a God-like overlord – Dexerto
Fortnite conspiracy theorists think the bus driver is a God-like overlord Epic GamesFortnite is constantly evolving thanks to new Chapters, Seasons, and collaborations. But one element has withstood the test of time – the bus driver. So, who is this mysterious driver, and what do they mean for the lore? With Save the World and Battle Royale, it is hard to keep up with the lore and understand what is and isn’t canon in the universe. This only becomes more complicated with the recent announcement of Disney investing in Epic Games to bring over dozens of IPs to the game. The Fortnite developers have not made any definitive comments surrounding the lore of the game. Which means that players have taken it upon themselves to piece together what’s really going on. Redditors have come up with creative ideas of their own. This includes one popular theory that the bus driver is actually in control of what goes on. Is the Fortnite bus driver an overlord? A thread on the official Fortnite subreddit gave commenters a chance to give their own input on the game’s lore. Or better yet, what conspiracy theories are tied to it. “The bus driver is a god entity and does all this for his entertainment because he is the only constant and delivers people to die,” suggested one theorist in a comment with close to 1,000 upvotes. Others piled on to this theory by connecting to other parts of Fortnite. This includes Save the World, which was the game’s original concept before it became a battle royale. “Bus driver is actually a goblin from Save the World,” suggested another. Little is known about the bus driver, but regardless of season or collaboration, they remain the same. The only thing that does change on occasion is the outside of the Battle Bus. Without any solid proof or confirmation from the developers, the identity behind the bus driver remains a mystery. But, it is fun to use context clues to figure out who might be dropping players onto the map.

Fortnite confirms Zeus and Greek Mythology theme in Chapter 5 Season 2 teaser – Dexerto
Fortnite confirms Zeus and Greek Mythology theme in Chapter 5 Season 2 teaser Epic GamesFortnite has officially teased the Zeus skin and a Greek mythology theme for Chapter 5 Season 2. Here’s what it confirmed for the new season. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is ending in the coming days and anticipation for the next season is already at its peak. In the past couple of days, players saw a giant Titan Hand appear from the Ruined Reels cracks with a Pandora’s Box chained to it. Players witnessed the mini live event for Chapter 5 Season 2 within a Battle Royale match as they worked together to break the chains and open Pandora’s Box on the island. As a result, a fiery tornado with evil souls was unleashed hinting at a darker future for the new Fortnite season. However, after weeks of speculation, players have finally received an official teaser from Epic Games that confirms the much anticipated Greek mythology theme and a Zeus skin coming in Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 teaser confirms Greek mythology theme The official X account of Fortnite has finally dropped an image teaser for Chapter 5 Season 2, featuring a constellation in the shape of lightning, with a giant figure holding it and hurling it toward the sky. This can easily be identified as the King of the Greek Gods, Zeus, as it was hinted to appear in the new season. The teaser was accompanied by a caption that said, “Can you feel the thunder?”, followed by a lightning bolt emoji. Several data miners believe that Zeus will be a level 100 skin in the upcoming Battle Pass for Chapter 5 Season 2. With the official teaser drop, several Fortnite players expressed their enthusiasm on social media. One such player said, “Zeus Boss (battle pass skin most likely) and has a mythic lightning bolt that has 3 different attacks.” Another chimed in, “ZEUS! Let’s goooo! This season is going to be amazing!” A third user commented, “Hades has no chance against this dude!” A fourth one noticed the skin a little closer and wrote, “I love how Greek god dude casually has grenades strapped to him.”

Fortnite console world record for Solo vs Squads broken by four kills – Dexerto
Fortnite console world record for Solo vs Squads broken by four kills Fortnite‘s world record for Solo vs Squads kills on console has been smashed yet again in astonishing fashion, this time by PlayStation 4 player Apokalypto. The player uploaded a video of his achievement to his official YouTube channel on February 22, 2019 and seems to have eclipsed the previous record held by French player FT-Fateu, who picked up 38 eliminations, way back in April 2018. The solo vs squad record was actually credited to Brazilian player SlayLeo, who managed 41 kills, but Apokalypto went one step further, managing 42 – and it could very well have been more. We previously reported that SlayLeo’s was a brand new record on March 6, but that wasn’t actually the case, given that Apokalypto had pulled off this game a matter of weeks before. It could have been even more eliminations for Apokalypto as well, as the footage shows below, with the final two squad teammates being eliminated by storm damage. Even more impressive is that the game only started with 94 players, six less than the maximum. The PS4 gamer primarily used the Epic Scar and Legendary Pump Shotgun to mastermind the world record – two of the most popular weapons in the battle royale mode. Fortnite Confirms Playground Mode Will Be Permanent, Not a Limited Time Mode – Dexerto
Fortnite Confirms Playground Mode Will Be Permanent, Not a Limited Time Mode A message sent from the official Fortnite Twitch channel has confirmed that the popular Playground mode will be a permanent addition to the game, not simply a Limited Time Mode. The Playground mode was a heavily requested feature since Fortnite Battle Royale first gained popularity, allowing players to practice their building without the pressure of a real match. The mode also features respawns, increased resources and a ten minute time limit making it extremely different from any other mode in the game. But, with other new modes in Fortnite, fans feared it would only be available for a limited time, similar to other popular modes like 50v50, which come and go in the game. But it looks like Playground is here to stay permanently, which will make a lot of fans very pleased considering it’s incredible popularity. It did take some time to fine tune the mode for full release, but now that it is in the game, fans are pushing it to its very limits and going wild with the creativity it fosters. This message from the official Fortnite Twitch account is the only confirmation we have so far, stating they plan to have Playground remain permanently. Reddit immediately, and fans on the dedicated Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit have been responding very positively to the news. From the wording of the message, it sounds like Playground is not in it’s final ‘version’, and so it is expected there will be changes made in the future which may lead to it being temporarily disabled.

Fortnite confirms flying movement mechanic coming to Chapter 5 Season 2 – Dexerto
Fortnite confirms flying movement mechanic coming to Chapter 5 Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite has seemingly confirmed that some form of flying mechanic will be added to Chapter 5 Season 2 with the latest teaser image with the title ‘Don’t fly too close to the sun’. Fortnite kicked off Chapter 5 with an overhaul of its overall movement mechanics. However, shortly after its release, many players slammed the “janky” movement changes. Following the widespread community backlash, Epic Games apologized via their socials and implemented various tweaks for a smoother experience. As players got more used to the changes, the player base gradually settled down. Now, Epic looks set to be shaking up the movement mechanics once again in Chapter 5 Season 2. Epic’s co-founder, Mark Rein, first sent players into a frenzy after his word for next season was “Wings.” This quickly led the community to speculate some kind of flying movement was being added. Since then, the main and competitive Fortnite accounts have added fuel to the fire by teasing a brand-new movement type coming via their socials. Fortnite players believe flying is arriving in Chapter 5 Season 2 As Fortnite continues to tease the upcoming mythology Gods and Goddesses coming with the new update, they have also referred to the tale of Icarus while also teasing the new flying mechanic. On March 5, Fortnite Competitive posted to their official Twitter/X account: “You know how you can walk or sprint when competing? Let’s say you’ll be able to do something else…” Some players speculated that this is related specifically to in-game Ranked benefits. In particular, many questioned: “Do you have 50HP or Shield for killing people now? Think it would be a great idea,” in regards to elimination benefits. However, most of the speculation in the community spawned off the back of Mark Rein’s comment on “wings”, as players believed this was another teaser towards a “flying” mechanic being added to Chapter 5 Season 2. One player simply stated: “we are getting those wings,” as another said: “I believe I can fly.” Despite it widely being perceived that flying is coming in some form, Epic Games has not officially confirmed this. We will be sure to update you if any further teases or official announcements for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 are given.

Fortnite concept for how players could instantly try out new weapons and items in-game – Dexerto
Fortnite concept for how players could instantly try out new weapons and items in-game A concept has been floating around Reddit that would allow players to immediately be able to try out new weapons and items added to Fortnite Battle Royale. There is always one predictable thing that happens every time anything new is added to the game – everyone jumps on the game to try it out. However, that can prove to be a frustrating experience for two reasons – one: players have to get lucky that they find the item while looting, and two: since everyone has the same idea, it’s hard to actually find the item or weapon and then have the time and space to fully try it out. While the smarter idea may be to queue into the Playground mode and try looking there, but even that can often take time and no one has control over which rarity or version of the new item could be found. However, this new concept on Reddit would dissolve those frustrations because it proposes that the free Vending Machines in the Playground mode be adjusted to feature any items or weapons that are new to the game. Not only would this proposal offer a consistent option for players who want to try out new weapons or items, it would also not require players to mine for resources to trade in at the Vending Machines. If this concept were to be implemented, players would then know that they could just queue into Playground, go to where Vending Machines spawn 100% of the time, and instantly get one of the new weapons or items for free. They would then also be able to try it out for nearly a full hour, all in the low-pressure environment of Playground, where there is no fear of getting blindsided or third-partied by other players.

Awesome Fortnite concept would bring Darth Vader skin to Battle Royale – Dexerto
Awesome Fortnite concept would bring Darth Vader skin to Battle Royale Nobelbatterfly, RedditFortnite fans have created some weird and wonderful skin designs since the game’s release in 2017, but this Darth Vader concept might be the best of the lot. The Star Wars character is one of the most popular from the original trilogy, which all started back in 1977, and one Fortnite fan would love to see a version of him added the the game. There are a few tweaks in his design, though, with a curved lightsaber replacing the typical axe that you would typically see in Battle Royale mode, as well as several other exciting changes which allows this concept to stand out. While the outfit might not be exactly like Darth Vader’s, we can only imagine the different emotes which could be included with this concept skin – perhaps one where he is choking an opponent, waving his lightsaber or maybe even moving an item with the force. Its creator, Noblebatterly, posted their fan art to Reddit and has since received generally positive feedback. However, one user – OfficialFishstick – thinks the design is no better than one skin already added to the game. They posted: “This is almost as good as Fishstick”. “Maybe one day I’ll be able to create something half as good as Fishstick,” Noblebatterly responded. “But, for now, I’ll just have to accept his dominance.” While this Star Wars skin is highly unlikely to ever make it into Fortnite in the future, that won’t stop fans thinking about what it would be like to see Darth Vader and other characters feature in the game.

Fortnite: Leaked ‘PCB Challenges’ might involve leaving the house to complete – Dexerto
Fortnite: Leaked ‘PCB Challenges’ might involve leaving the house to complete A new set of challenges for Fortnite Battle Royale called ‘PCB Challenges’ have been leaked online, but nobody’s quite sure what they mean. Leaked by @TapohiFL on Twitter, the mysterious new challenges seem to require players to complete tasks ‘at a participating PC Cafe’, and it looks like that might mean heading to a real internet cafe near your home. When we first heard about the challenges, we believed that they might be linked to the ‘Keyboard King’ store that was recently added to Paradise Palms as the sign outside of the shop is the same as the one shown next to the PCB challenges. However, the challenges themselves seem to be too complex for a mini-game or in-store arcade feature in Keyboard King, which makes us believe that you’ll have to visit a real-life PC Cafe. All-in-all, the challenges are a total mystery and we’re not entirely sure what to make of them. One thing that does seem to be certain, though, is that you’ll be rewarded with this Rare ‘Embers’ contrail if you complete all eight. 500 The leaked PCB Challenges for Fortnite Battle Royale are as follows: Search Treasure Chests at a participating PC Cafe (25) – Build Structures at a participating PC Cafe (250) – Play Matches at a participating PC Cafe (5) – Play Matches with one or more friends at a participating PC Cafe (10) – Place Top 12 in Squads at a participating PC Cafe (10) – Eliminate Opponents while playing at a participating PC Cafe (20) – Play Matched at a participating PC Cafe (75) – Play Matches with one or more friends at a participating PC Cafe (50) – Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available…

Fortnite: How to complete “Search Unicorn floaties at swimming holes” 14 Days of Summer challenge – Dexerto
Fortnite: How to complete “Search Unicorn floaties at swimming holes” 14 Days of Summer challenge YouTube: TacocatgamingThe sixth challenge for the 14 Days of Summer event in Fortnite Battle Royale is now live, and tasks you with looting up some floating unicorns in various spots around the map. There is a new challenge each day for the event, and a reward for each too, as the team at Epic Games gives players something to keep busy with while they enjoy a well-earned break at the studio. Although each challenge is revealed on the day it goes live, we already know what to expect thanks to data miners, who have already compiled a full list of every challenge and reward. Where to ‘Search Unicorn floaties at swimming holes’ These ‘swimming holes’ in Fortnite are dotted in various watery spots around the map, but we’ve got a map with each one marked for your convenience. Thankfully, they are somewhat bunched together, with four in the middle-northern part of the map, and three more all close-by, in, or near Paradise Palms. Once you reach each location, simply approach the floaty and press the interact button on whatever device you’re playing on, like you would with a Loot Llama. All 7 unicorn floaties locations: Beach Party Location (near Fatal Fields) – Lazy Lagoon – Docks in Lazy Lagoon – Loot Lake – Dusty Divot – Lonely Lodge – Fatal Fields – Paradise Palms – Thankfully, you don’t need to interact with all seven, instead only three, and considering that they are somewhat bunched together you’re likely to be able to get it done in a single match. Either head for North of the Pressure Plant, or down to Paradise Palms, and provided there’s not too many enemies in your way, you should be able to get it done quickly. If you’re still working on any of the other challenges for 14 Days of Summer, be sure to check our full guide for every one so far. They should be available until the end of the 14 days at least, and likely a bit longer, so don’t panic if you don’t get them all done on the day of release, there will be plenty of time to get the rewards before Season 10 begins.

Fortnite competitive players slam Epic for canceling Reload Cup – Dexerto
Fortnite competitive players slam Epic for canceling Reload Cup Epic GamesReload is one of the most popular game modes in Fortnite, so fans didn’t take the news well when Epic Games canceled one of its tournaments. Like Warzone’s Resurgence mode, Reload provides a smaller-scaled experience in Fortnite. There are 40 player lobbies instead of 100, and as long as a single teammate remains alive, you can respawn without needing to use a Reboot Van. Fortnite players fell in love with the game mode, which topped 300,000 concurrent players in June. Meanwhile, traditional Battle Royale plummeted to an all-time low player count of 188,000. Epic Games capitalized on Reload’s success by announcing Cash Cups for Chapter 5 Season 4. Competitive fans were excited about the new challenge, but Epic Games canceled tournaments because of an issue with player scores missing. Some frustration stems from the devs already canceling another tournament earlier this season. “Why is this game so bugged? This is the second tournament canceled this season, and it’s been less than a month,” one player argued. Postponements were also an issue in previous seasons, which has only amplified a growing negative sentiment. “First late game cups in Chapter 3 and 4 got canceled so much due to issues now the same is happening to reload. Tournaments just don’t work in theses types of game modes,” a second user claimed. Despite being a popular game mode, fatigue has set in for a segment of the player base, and they are ready for the competitive scene to lean back into standard Battle Royale matches. “They should remove them permanently and give us trio cups,” a third commenter said. Epic Games reassured fans that they will provide an update on rescheduled dates once the issue is resolved. Thankfully, it’s not all doom and gloom for Fortnite fans, as a massive buff finally increased the Isle of Doom’s spawn rate higher than ever before.

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Search where the magnifying glass sits on Treasure Map’ challenge – Dexerto
Fortnite: How to complete ‘Search where the magnifying glass sits on Treasure Map’ challenge Fortnite’s Season 8 Week 3 challenges are officially on their way, and a number of Fortnite fans are already confused by a leaked challenge which asks players to “search where the magnifying glass sits on the Treasure Map loading screen.” The challenges for Week 3 of Fortnite Season 8 sees players once again traverse around the map, while also utilizing some of the game’s transportation methods such as ziplines and The Baller – a brand new vehicle added to the game in the v8.10 update. One of these challenges sees players forced to locate and visit an area that has been identified by a magnifying glass on the Treasure Map loading screen available inside the game. The treasure map spotted in the loading screen is actually a map of the Fortnite island where players drop into in hopes of securing a Victory Royale. So locating this area shouldn’t be too difficult. As seen highlighted below, a magnifying glass can be seen placed on the map, showing a location on the map with what appears to be a circle made out of trees as a distinguishing feature. This ring of trees can be found just south-west of Polar Peake, located on a small hill just below the sheer cliff face that leads up to The Ice King’s castle. If you’re still having issues locating where you need to head to complete this challenge, YouTuber Vinny122004 has uploaded a handy video tutorial that will show you how to complete this challenge. Once players reach this location, a Battle Star should appear once the challenges go live, with fans just required to interact with the star when it appears to complete the challenge. Of course, as with any leaks, Epic Games may decide to alter this challenge before they officially go live at around 14:00 GMT (06:00 PST, 09:00 EST).

Fortnite community split by Twitter war after Epic Games cracks down on wagers – Dexerto
Fortnite community split by Twitter war after Epic Games cracks down on wagers Epic GamesAfter Epic Games announced a crackdown on wager matches in Fortnite, dueling groups of fans split the community and got #ripFortnite and #ThankYouEpicGames both trending on March 26. Outside of official competitions and in-game tournaments promoted by the developers, wagers were a favorite of top-level and pro players when public lobbies and Arenas just weren’t cutting it. On March 25 though, Epic announced they would be cracking down on the popular unsanctioned competitions – at least for players under the legal gambling age. NRG’s Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod announced on Twitter that Epic has messaged him and told him to stop wagers, or risk getting a ban. It didn’t take long for the news to split Twitter, with some proclaiming #ripfortnite, and many others backing up the publishers with #ThankYouEpicGames tags, both of which got trending. #ripfortnite takes over Twitter I just wish it could go back to the way it was 😔 #ripfortnite pic.twitter.com/MSOoHl3RC9 — a (meal) ✰ (@amiel_josiah) March 26, 2021 While the #ripfortnite trend started off with players complaining about the “death” of wagers, it quickly evolved to focus on what some people see as “the good old days” of the game in the most popular tweets. But wagers weren’t the only thing people seriously using the hashtag were focused on. In addition to more enforcement there, other recent changes to the battle royale quickly came under the microscope, as well. “Yeah, #ripfortnite killed a region, platform, and wagers,” Twitter user ProfZachy said, referring to Epic’s recent decision to remove Arena Duos and Arena Box Fight from servers on the Oceanic region. https://twitter.com/ProfZachy/status/1375446034801905665?s=20 #ThankYouEpicGames steals the show It’s not the first time Epic’s battle royale has been called a ‘dead game’ by a long shot, and it’s not even the first time these two hashtags have dueled it out. From looking at the tweets, the #ThankYouEpicGames side definitely won this round, especially considering a good number of the #ripfortnite tweets were actually pushing back against the hashtag. A search for the supportive tag reveals a ton of tweets remembering all the good times on the island from years past. Several people shared how Fortnite had positively impacted their lives since coming out, including Fortnite leaker HYPEX. Just wanna say #ThankYouEpicGames again for changing my life in the for the last ~4 years.. i dropped out at 15-16 cause the school system sucks in countries like mine & the good schools were too expensive for my family so i didn’t know what to do until this game came out! ❤️ — HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 26, 2021 Who remembers pickaxing a ice cream truck with 100,000 damage? #ThankYouEpicGames pic.twitter.com/2PUoCtvEcd — Ayejay (@Ayejjay04) March 26, 2021 Like we said, with more tweets, and more people genuinely using the #ThankYouEpicGames hashtag as opposed to #ripfortnite, it’s safe to say the fans who haven’t given up on the battle royale took the W in this matchup. The Fortnite community right now #ThankYouEpicGames #ripfortnite pic.twitter.com/CwXaflbx93 — LeDuckJG🕊️ITS NOT GOJOVER (@FNinfluencer) March 26, 2021 It’s also worth pointing out that this crackdown on wagers isn’t even new like a lot of players seem to think. Betting on the outcome of matches or wagering is against the ToS, and has been for some time, Epic has just recently decided to start enforcing it.

Fortnite community slams the lack of one cosmetic as “huge missed opportunity” – Dexerto
Fortnite community slams the lack of one cosmetic as “huge missed opportunity” Epic Games/MarvelFortnite players are disappointed at the lack of one particular cosmetic that would go well with one of the skins in Chapter 5 Season 4’s Battle Pass. Fortnite once again brings a Marvel-themed season to the game in Chapter 5, Season 4, introducing various skins, cosmetics, POIs, and even weapons from the franchise. Among these additions, Mysterio’s skin is one that players can unlock from the Battle Pass. Also Included in the Battle Pass are cosmetics related to the villain, such as a Cloak back bling, a Supernatural pickaxe, and even an additional Supernatural Mysterio style with a red color scheme. However, when looking at his Magic Trick emote, players can’t help but be disappointed, claiming that it should have also been a glider. “Why wasn’t this his glider? Are they stupid?” asked one player in a Reddit thread discussing the traversal emote. Many other players in the comments agreed that it doesn’t make sense for this not to be a separate glider, mainly because of the way he stands on the green platform. “He even stands on a floating platform while doing this emote. They had no reason to not make it his glider,” commented one user. “Fr, it sucks they didn’t give him a glider. Disappointing they didn’t give the characters all unique gliders like they did with the first Marvel season. I just use Magneto’s glider for him,” another player said. Others were disappointed that a Marvel favorite was done dirty. “He was always my favorite Spiderman villain growing up, so when I saw him in the battle pass, my eyes lit up!!!! Absolutely amazing skin. But you’re right, huge missed opportunity not giving him a glider,” a Mysterio fan complained. Regarding this, one user argued that the platform has a “low magnetic field that achieves the illusion of floating. ” For this reason, it can’t be used to glide from a great height and is essentially “like a Roomba, just sliding across the floor”. That said, other players pointed out how Fortnite’s gliders have been ignoring “the laws of physics and logic” for a while now. Naruto’s Kurama glider is one example and many believe it would still make sense to have the platform as Mysterio’s glider in Fortnite. It’s worth knowing that Fortnite quest rewards for Chapter 5, Season 4 have yet to be unlocked, so there’s still a possibility that the character could be getting an additional cosmetic or a glider. Until then, players will have to be patient.

Fortnite community snaps at Epic for “screwing over” solo players – Dexerto
Fortnite community snaps at Epic for “screwing over” solo players Epic GamesSolo players are furious with Epic Games, accusing the Fortnite developer of sidelining them in favor of group-focused content. Fortnite’s game modes include Solo, Duo, Trio, and Squad, but players believe recent updates push the player base towards cooperative missions. The Summer Road Trip quests, for instance, require teamwork, pressuring solo players into group modes for completion. This shift has sparked discontent among those who prefer playing alone. One player expressed their frustration on Reddit, complaining that Fortnite “has essentially screwed over solo players for the last three seasons.” They lamented the trend towards group quests, stating, “I’m very tired of groups and social quests being forced on people. It’s not fair to individuals who don’t have groups to play with or concurrent schedules.” In the comments, other players shared their grievances. One player remarked, “They not only don’t care if it frustrates you, they actively hope it does.” This skeptical player believes Epic’s ultimate goal is “to make you try to get your friends to start playing.” This comment reflects a broader criticism of Fortnite’s Reboot Rally mode, which received criticism for leveraging rewards to encourage players to recruit friends. Critics argued that this approach exploited solo Fortnite players, who may not have had a social network. Community members think the goal is to prioritize marketing strategies over genuine customer satisfaction. Another player chimed in with a workaround, saying, “Make a second account. I have my alt afk on my switch in lobbies and it even earns V-bucks from the free pass.” A third player criticized the Reboot Rally by stating, “I’m not playing into their cheap attempt at turning me into a spokesman for Fortnite.” With ongoing issues like the controversial Cybertruck and overpowered weapons, combined with a stale meta and criticism from streamers, Fortnite’s future seems increasingly uncertain.

Fortnite community slams “sad” criticism of “plus-sized” skins – Dexerto
Fortnite community slams “sad” criticism of “plus-sized” skins Epic GamesWhile the inclusion of what some are calling “plus-sized” skins to Fortnite has been met with widespread praise, the skins have also resulted in derision from some players. Fortnite has added a variety of character skins that depict a wide range of body shapes and skin tones. This provides players with different customization options, and in some cases, allows them to be better represented in-game. Unfortunately, some of the new skins released in the summer update have been met with mockery by some players in the community. Many others in the Fortnite community, however, have slammed the criticism, contending that the move promotes body positivity, self-acceptance, and inclusiveness. Drama around “Plus-sized” skins in Fortnite During the Summer Escape event in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, Epic Games released the Opal skin. In the past, characters like Kyle, Penny and Brutus have been examples of larger Fortnite skins that the player base loved. However, with the release of Opal, some have shared harsh responses to it on social media. In response, many Fortnite players rose up and slammed the critics for not recognizing the importance of such initiatives by the game. One such player started a Twitter thread stating, “The fact that this skin has caused so much drama in the Fortnite community is so sad.” Another replied to the thread, arguing, “I think it’s cool they’re are adding different character proportions and body types. Fortnite W”. A third added, “If they didn’t like plus sized skins, why do they like skins like Kyle, or Penny?” However, one user explained they simply don’t like the skin due to its design. “I just find the skin unappealing to me. People hating the skin for being plus sized is so silly though.” It’s clear that most players are embracing and celebrating Fortnite’s new skins, promoting a more tolerant and inclusive community.

Fortnite community rallies for The Boys crossover after this squad’s “perfect” recreation – Dexerto
Fortnite community rallies for The Boys crossover after this squad’s “perfect” recreation Epic Games / Prime Video / DexertoFortnite players put together a full squad of their favorite characters from The Boys using classic skins as the community has rallied for an official collaboration. There have been various Fortnite x The Boys rumors, which have only heightened after a Fortnite insider claimed in June 2024 that a The Boys crossover was coming. Since then, the highly anticipated The Boys Season 4 was released on Prime Video, but there have been no signs of an actual Fortnite collaboration since. However, some players have taken matters into their own hands by repurposing existing skins from different seasons to assemble a squad of their favorite characters. Fortnite creator Granbe posted to their Twitter/X account to show off their resemblance. It featured Homelander front and center using the Hunter skin from Chapter 2 Season 4 and other classic Outfits to bring A-Train, Billy Butcher, and Black Noir to life. Fans of the series showered the poster with praise. “This is the most perfect thing I had ever seen a squad do,” one said. “Holy s**t, someone actually using a build-your-own-superhero skin for something other than a solid color that blends into the map,” another chimed in. The post has also fueled demand for an official crossover. “We need a Boys crossover,” another player replied, echoing the sentiment of many in the Fortnite community. “The crossover has SO much potential, it would be hard to pick a handful of characters,” one said. “I just finished The Boys and Gen V… I want a Billy butcher skin so bad and a Black Noir. Hell, I want all of them,” another added. Despite the Fortnite insider’s original claims, Epic has not made any official announcement, and no further leaks have surfaced. As players speculated a possible future release date, one said, “Honestly, I see a season 5 The Boys collab to be honest with y’all.” There is no release date for The Boys Season 5, but the show is expected to return for its final season in 2026. If true, Fortnite players may have to just sit tight for a while – unless a surprise collab gets released sooner.

Fortnite community slam Epic over death of classic “cheap” V-Bucks deal – Dexerto
Fortnite community slam Epic over death of classic “cheap” V-Bucks deal Epic GamesEpic Games has received backlash from Fortnite players after discovering that the original “cheap” V-Bucks vouchers have been replaced with more “expensive” versions in their local stores. Fortnite has been selling physical V-Bucks, skin and cosmetic reward vouchers for years. These can be purchased from stores in exchange for cash, and their prices have remained consistent due to Epic branding the standard price on the top-right of each card. The ‘19 Dollar Fortnite Card‘ even became a viral meme in 2021 after a man in a clip showed off the $19 Fortnite V-Bucks card for an alleged giveaway and told viewers to “share, share, share” if they want it. However, one Fortnite player brought to attention on the FortniteBR subreddit that “The $19 Fortnite card is no more,” alongside an image of the new $22.99 2,800 V-Bucks voucher card. According to the player and many others in the Fortnite community, the revised voucher code has started to be introduced in various stores. It has increased the price from the classic $19 to $22.99, making it a $3 increase for the exact same amount of 2,800 V-Bucks. Players flooded in to reminisce in the viral meme, “Rip $19 Fortnite card,” the top comment read. “Who wants it? And yes I’m giving it away. Remember, share! share! share! And trolls, don’t get blocked!” Meanwhile, others chimed in to repeat the iconic phrase from the viral meme. Despite this, various other players were naturally furious over having to spend more of their hard-earned cash. “Jeez, even back before the price drop in 2020, 2800 V-Bucks were worth only $20, if I remember correctly. Why are the physical ones so expensive?” one replied. “Where I live it was $26.79 and now it’s $29.99,” one Fortnite fan even stated, as another added: “I have officially lost all hope in humanity.” Despite the backlash, many players echoed that “they are still out there. you just gotta be strong enough to go searching for them.” Therefore, the era of the ’19 Dollar Fortnite card’ has not ended just yet.

Fortnite community loses it over unreleased Marvel skin surfacing early – Dexerto
Fortnite community loses it over unreleased Marvel skin surfacing early Fortnite/DexertoFortnite players were in for a surprise when they spotted an unreleased Spider-Man skin in-game. Epic Games rolled out a bunch of Marvel-themed skins at the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 4. The update launched on August 16, allowing players to snag the cosmetics through the Item Shop or Battle Pass. However, Epic teased even more Marvel content arriving on August 24. While the details were still under wraps, reliable leakers wasted no time revealing which Marvel characters were hidden in Fortnite’s API. Imagine one player’s shock when they stumbled upon the unreleased Iron Spider skin in a Battle Royale game. To top it off, that very skin turned out to be the culprit behind their downfall. Reddit users quickly shared the surprising early appearance. In the comments, some players questioned how the skin appeared when it wasn’t available in the Item Shop. Speculation ran wild about how else you might score the skin, with theories ranging from special promotions to comic purchases. The mystery resolved when people discovered that content creators often receive new skins early for promotional purposes. Fortnite players quickly pinpointed the creator in the screenshot as DoriFN from YouTube. While they haven’t posted any content featuring the Iron Spider yet, their username made them the obvious source of the early reveal. Whether through their channel or not, the creator managed to get the Iron Spider skin out there and the reactions are all over the place. Some players have slammed the design, complaining that the spider legs look way too oversized. Meanwhile, others are all about it, calling the legs “sick.” Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is fully leaning into its Marvel collab, showcasing a lineup of Marvel-themed mythics and characters. Among the highlights are War Machine and Peelverine, both making their debut in the Battle Pass.

Fortnite community is furious over turbo building nerfs – Dexerto
Fortnite community is furious over turbo building nerfs Epic GamesFortnite’s v10.20 update angered much of the competitive community after they found out turbo building was nerfed and they immediately got the hashtag #RevertTurboBuilding trending on Twitter. A rather large Fortnite collaboration with Borderlands 3 was completely overshadowed by the fact turbo building was nerfed. This patch took the time between build placements and increased it from 0.05 to 0.15, which doesn’t seem like much but it can make all the difference in a build fight and this was met with a lot of criticism. Players are more than fed up with the direction of Season 10 as #Removethemech trended in earlier August and Epic did eventually nerf the BRUTE as a result of that. However, they made yet another controversial change which caused fans once again to voice their displeasure on Twitter since they could no longer “crank 90s.” Not even a day after the patch came out, #RevertTurboBuilding began trending number one in the United States. Unsurprisingly, many of the big names in Fortnite expressed their displeasure with this update and spoke up about it before the hashtag even began trending. Both Ninja and Myth both tweeted about the nerf, with Myth going an extra step and sending out a video that demonstrates how major the changes are. Turbo 90’s vs Clicking 90’s IM CRACKED. pic.twitter.com/3cgUxtsKvJ — Myth (@TSM_Myth) August 27, 2019 Epic Games did listen to the community when they wanted the mech nerfed the first time so the players are likely hoping for something similar to happen here. Read More: Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite – Season 10 has arguably been the most controversial season of Fortnite and that’s saying something. Players have survived through planes, Ballers, the Infinity Blade but none of those caused the stir like this season has. Epic Games explicitly mentioned the #Removethemech movement in a blog post so it’s almost guaranteed they have seen what’s going on already. We’ll have to see how long Epic can stick to their guns with this much blowback from the community.

Fortnite community goes wild for incredible cosmetic locker UI design – Dexerto
Fortnite community goes wild for incredible cosmetic locker UI design The Fortnite community have been clamoring for an update to the locker for an incredibly long time, and one player’s take on a new locker concept has got the rest of the player base wishing it were added to the game. All Fortnite players want is a simplified system to make themselves look good. Well, maybe that’s not the only thing, but an update to the Fortnite locker has still been highly anticipated by the community. Specifically, fans have been asking for an updated user interface for the Locker for ages, so they can better organize all the cosmetic items that they have earned or bought since the battle royale’s inception. Players have longed for more options when it comes to customization, as well as other features like presets and an option to change the appearance of the character in addition to the outfit. A user on the FortniteBR subreddit, ‘AitorWesterhof,’ has officially whetted the appetites of players who have been looking for a new UI, with their fresh concept for the weapon and skin tab that they’re calling Fortniter Locker V2. AitorWesterhof included the idea of presets, which would give players the option to cycle through multiple presets of cosmetic combinations the player designs themselves. This would mark a significant update from the current system, which only allows for one active set at the moment. The user also added an upgrade to the Edit Style options on each skin, which would allow players to select the appearance of the character for cosmetics which don’t cover the model’s entire face or body. This is an option not currently included in Epic’s live Locker system. On top of all that, AitorWesterhof introduced a Themes pack idea, which lets players cycle through preset packs of loading screens, menu music, and menu themes. Other members of the Fortnite community loved what they say from the Locker V2 concept. Some called it “amazing,” while others wondered when something like that could be added to the game. Plenty of content creators have come up with concepts for Fortnite skins, but it’s telling that a concept about the skins Locker has drawn this much attention. Will presets ever be added?

Fortnite community divided on whether Victory Royales should reward players – Dexerto
Fortnite community divided on whether Victory Royales should reward players Epic GamesFortnite players are conflicted on whether the game should add extra rewards for getting a Victory Royale, with there being upsides and downsides to giving players more incentive to take home the W. Outside of extra experience, personal gratification, and a Victory Crown, there is little benefit in getting a win in Fortnite. Unless it is your first win of the season, then the game gifts you a season-themed glider. But any wins outside of that are mostly just for bragging rights. Getting a Victory Royale is no small feat, especially in higher-ranked lobbies, which has prompted some to consider the idea of adding additional rewards. A Reddit post showcased an idea of what post-win rewards could look like. The options presented were an XP boost, extra V-Bucks, or additional stars to advance the battle pass. However, players hold conflicting opinions on whether such rewards should be included in Fortnite or left unchanged. “The sweats would reach an all-time high and probably kill the game off for good.” said the top comment. Influencing hardcore or “sweaty” players was one of the main issues commenters had with this concept. Some argue that adding additional Fortnite rewards would only raise the level of competitiveness in casual games. “When I first started playing I was genuinely confused where my Vbucks reward was after I won and looked up why it didn’t give me Vbucks.” explained another. While players advocating for a reward change were in the minority, their viewpoint spurred discussions about the extent to which Fortnite might be willing to incentivize players to win games. The primary argument for rewards seems to revolve around V-Bucks, which could be earned by winning matches and used to purchase items. However, this concept was met with opposition from others, who claimed that Epic Games would never distribute V-Bucks for free.

Fortnite community frustrated as Reload leaves solo players out to dry – Dexerto
Fortnite community frustrated as Reload leaves solo players out to dry Epic GamesThe release of Fortnite Reload has the community slamming Epic Games for releasing yet another squad-only game mode that leaves those who love dropping solo without options. Fortnite Reload has been a massive hit with the fan base. It brings back the classic feel of Fortnite from the early days of Chapter 2, along with a new game mode, challenges, quests, and rewards. But, despite Fortnite Reload’s undeniable success, the many players believe Epic could improve the game by offering more queue options with the mode. Currently, the only way to play Fortnite Reload is through squads, with “fill” or “no fill” options. However, in a situation with 4-man squads, it’s best to have teammates even if they’re random players. Some community members took to Reddit to share their frustrations with Fortnite’s focusing heavily on squads in the vast majority of the game modes they release. “Can people not enjoy a new game mode alone? I prefer not playing with fill and getting a bunch of 6-year-olds. I just wanna enjoy game modes, but they all are only for four people. I don’t have friends to play the game with a full squad because they all quit,” said the poster. Other comments beneath the original Reddit post agreed with the sentiment and were confused as to why a mode as popular as Fortnite Reload would not have been made more available to a wider audience. “The problem isn’t even that I don’t have friends. The problem is I’m an adult, and so are my friends and the chance that I and three other adults would be free at the same time for 1-2 hours is next to impossible,” explained one commenter. Although, the tricky part with trying to make the game have solos is that the mode is centered around unlimited reboots. This means that, as long as one squad member is alive, you can infinitely get rebooted until the end of the game when reboots turn off. Solos just doesn’t work with Reload’s current format. “I agree. They could easily give this a solo mode with some sort of respawn token system. You start with 5 and once they are gone they are gone. When it’s down to 5 people left the respawn tokens go away, and no one can respawn,” suggested another commenter. According to leaks, more squad types, such as Trios and Duos, have been planned for Fortnite Reload. That said, some leaks think it could take a while for them to arrive.

Fortnite community desperate for old Battle Pass skins — even if “ludicrously overpriced” – Dexerto
Fortnite community desperate for old Battle Pass skins — even if “ludicrously overpriced” Epic GamesFortnite unleashes a brand-new Battle Pass for every season filled with various skins and cosmetics for players to grab, but some players just want the old skins they originally missed. Among the Fortnite player base, there has been an increasing trend of players slamming the new and returning items that are being made available to purchase from the Item Shop and Battle Pass. This has been no different in Chapter 5 Season 2. Instead of buying this season’s Myths and Mortals Battle Pass, many have been left disappointed with the slurp-god version of Poseidon and the overall direction Epic has taken with their skins. This has led to an influx of posts, reguarly filling social media and community forums, calling for an option for players to buy skins and cosmetics from past seasons that they have missed. As frustrations have continued to rise, they have become more desperate. “You should be able to buy old Battle Pass skins, even if they’re ludicrously overpriced,” one player claimed in a popular post. The main argument for the old skins returning has come from “being locked out of iconic characters like Spider-Man simply because you didn’t or couldn’t play the game at the time is crazy.” Players want a similar system found in other games, such as “Halo where the BP doesn’t disappear and you can work on past BPs.” However, OG players who have been playing for several years or even from the start have taken pride in the exclusivity of their skins, and many don’t want them to return. This has often sparked debate, with the opposite view being “they should be brought back, and they can stay mad about it. It’s a video game, not an exclusivity contest.” If Epic continues to release disappointing skins, according to parts of the community, the desperation among the player base will only grow.

Fortnite community criticizes Autumn Queen’s Quest lofty point goal – Dexerto
Fortnite community criticizes Autumn Queen’s Quest lofty point goal The Fortnite community has been given a task by the Autumn Queen in hopes of unlocking a new animated Wrap but some players are starting to think that goal is unreachable. There’s an animated weapon Wrap called Falling Leaf and it’s an excellent way to get into the fall spirit. Players have until December 1 to earn enough points as a community to unlock this wrap for everyone. Epic Games set the goal at 2,500,000,000 which seems like an incredibly high number, but when you think about the number of Fortnite players around the world, it doesn’t seem as bad. However, some are beginning to question if the quest is even possible as with just over two days to go, the community hasn’t even cracked the halfway point. This doesn’t mean it’s impossible, but it goes to show that players may have underestimated the amount of time it takes to unlock this Wrap. Players have taken their doubts to Reddit where many other players chimed in and shared similar doubts. Reddit user Cactus1872 thought that the low total was due to the Thanksgiving holiday and players would be able to get back on track, but not everyone shared the same sentiment. Some players questioned the timing of this quest, as it comes shortly after news the inaugural season of Chapter 2 would be extended until February. Many players have already completed every tier of their Battle Pass so perhaps this a ploy by Epic to get players to keep playing. Is it even possible that we can earn this wrap? 2 days seems like a very short time to get 2.5 BILLION points, while we are sitting at less than a fifth of the way there. Hopefully this is because of Thanksgiving and now people will play more. Definitely going to be tough because people are working. by inFortNiteBR As it stands right now, the way to earn points revolves around healing teammates, but players aren’t rewarded with a whole lot of points for doing so, with the most points being rewarded for just playing with a friend. There’s still a lot of time for players to get this Wrap unlocked so it’s definitely too early to give up all hope now, even if some already have. Even if the goal isn’t reached, it’s hard to imagine a world where Epic doesn’t extend the duration so everyone is able to get it. Epic made this competition with the intention of giving away a free Wrap, so it stands to reason they might offer a boost. It might be time to worry when the contest starts winding down and players are nowhere near the goal. There’s not actually a way to keep track of the quest in-game, so you’ll have to do so on a special website made just for it. You still have plenty of time to earn points so do your part for the community!

Another Fortnite hashtag trending as players demand return of popular feature – Dexerto
Another Fortnite hashtag trending as players demand return of popular feature Epic GamesIn another public outcry to Epic Games, fans of Fortnite have created a trend on Twitter in hopes of seeing the old fan-favorite ‘siphon’ mechanic return to all modes. Added to Fortnite in early 2019, first in a limited time mode then throughout all modes, siphon game players a combination of 50 health and shield points upon every successful elimination. However, because it drastically changed the pace of the game and allowed players to be more aggressive, Epic removed the feature from casual modes, leaving it just for the competitive tournaments and Arena. At the time, this led to massively negative feedback from many in the community who wanted siphon back in casual play, but the developers held their ground until the demands faded away. Read more: How to get free Psycho Bundle in Fortnite – However, it appears that those demands are now back in full force, as n September 9, #BringSiphonBack was trending on Twitter, thanks in large part to a simple post from FaZe Clan member Sway, pleading the Fortnite community to “#BringSiphonBack get it trending.” The post exploded within the Fortnite community, garnering over 1,500 retweets and 7,000 likes at the time of writing. Many other professional players and internet personalities, including the likes of KEEMSTAR, shared the post in agreement, hoping to see the regenerative feature back in the game soon to spice things up. Aggressive metas tend to favor top players over the lesser-skilled, so it’s no surprise that those following Sway would support the notion. Read more: Bugha hits out at Epic Games – However, Epic have argued that “siphon increased engagement for the highest-skilled 10%, while the remaining 90% were more frustrated and played less.” While various other hashtags have been popularized in the Fortnite realm previously, there’s no telling just how significant a factor it plays when it comes to the developers balancing the title. #RemovetheMech was arguably the largest online backlash to any addition in Fortnite, and yet the B.R.U.T.E mech remains to this day despite some recent nerfs.

Fortnite community begs Epic to vault or nerf “overpowered” Heavy Sniper – Dexerto
Fortnite community begs Epic to vault or nerf “overpowered” Heavy Sniper Epic GamesThe high-damage Heavy Sniper rifle has drawn the ire of the competitive Fortnite community, as players make a case to Epic that a weapon with that much power shouldn’t be so readily abundant as it currently is. The Heavy Sniper has dominated the meta of Arena matches in Fortnite since its permanent unvaulting at the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. With the introduction of the new facilities guarded by henchmen NPC bosses, it joins an arsenal of unique Mythic quality weapons that can inflict insane amounts of damage. But Fortnite players are upset that the Heavy Sniper rifle can be just as damaging as the previously mentioned Mythic weapons, but are far more available during the game. Each of the henchmen boss’s weapons only appear once in a game to whoever kills the boss, but the Epic and Legendary Heavy Sniper rifles can appear in chests, on the ground, and in Supply Drops. According to the Fortnite wiki, the Legendary version is guaranteed to appear in the drops. While many players share the sentiment that the damage number itself isn’t that OP, several agree that it appears way too frequently given what its damage output is. Several posts have appeared on the competitive Fortnite subreddit since the 12.10 update, which increased the amount of Heavy Sniper drops. The Heavy Sniper delivers 150 or 157 base damage to players, depending on whether its Epic or Legendary quality. This means players are required to have full health and at least 50 shields just to survive a body shot. It also destroys most building structures in one shot. Popular Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has already experienced first-hand how frustrating the abundance of Heavy Snipers is, and took to Twitter with the #VaultHeavySniper tag. The Heavy Sniper currently deals the most damage per shot than any weapon, including the Mythic quality weapons from Henchmen NPCs. While not every player and pro is calling for changes to the Heavy Sniper spawn rates, plenty are making enough noise that Epic might consider changes in the next update. For those that aren’t fans of the new Heavy meta, you might just want to steer clear of open fields for a while.

Fortnite community baffled after new player gets bizzare instant ban – Dexerto
Fortnite community baffled after new player gets bizzare instant ban Epic GamesFortnite players in the community have been left perplexed after one new player was instantly banned before they could even play a match. Fortnite bans are often a hot topic among the Battle Royale community, which has proved to be for various reasons. Streamers and players have often been banned for using offensive language, being speculated to cheat during their matches, and even for some completely unknown reasons. This was the case for one player’s fiance who tried to play Fortnite on their new account for the first time, before getting instantly banned without even playing a match. Fortnite player gets instantly banned without even playing Fortnite player Steeltoelion posted on Reddit: “First time my fiance has ever played on this account.” It was paired with an image from the Fortnite menu with the message: “You are currently banned from Fortnite.” They explained: “So this is the first time she’s gotten on, didn’t even get to play a game, didn’t even get to the main screen. “How the hell can she be banned without even playing the game? And Epic said they “can’t divulge information” What the f**k do you mean you can’t? “Are they really just banning accounts before they’re ever started and you’re just sh*t out of luck? What the f**k kind of business practice is that? Do we just keep harassing them with emails until they give us information or unban the account ?” Some Fortnite detectives tried to crack the bizarre case, as the majority thought it was down to “a lot of people getting banned for using VPNs.” However, the OP soon cleared this: “No we don’t use a VPN for gaming. This is on the PS5.” This led players to assume that something else was being used, such as a “Strikepack” or “Cronus Zen.” Again, the OP strongly denied: “No we don’t use any of that. People who use Cronus piss me off. We use the DualShock controllers, nothing aftermarket.” Players then asked: “Were you ever banned from another game through Epic Games? Maybe they banned your account from playing any of their games online.” Once again, they replied: “No we don’t play Epic games. I’m mostly an Insurgency/Hell Let Loose player anymore. Nothing even close to Epic.” With them having further stated: “It’s literally just Fortnite. Which we just downloaded the other night,” the Fortnite community and OP have been left perplexed and Epic still bans their account.

Fortnite community bamboozled by fake $1m Team Rumble Cash Cup promo – Dexerto
Fortnite community bamboozled by fake $1m Team Rumble Cash Cup promo Epic GamesA fake image of a $1 million Team Rumble tournament of Fortnite has been making the rounds on social media getting the hopes up of many would-be participants. Epic Games pumps a ton of money into Fortnite esports and they often feature large prize pools, like the $30 million World Cup. As a result, it’s not that hard to fall for a fake tournament, like this Team Rumble one, because it doesn’t seem like something Epic Games would be against doing. However, the image that has been uploaded onto the Fortnite competitive subreddit and gained more than 600 upvotes is indeed a fake. It’s not an obvious fake at first glance but the person who created the image came clean on Twitter and admitted that there is no such tournament in the works. This doesn’t mean there won’t ever be a Team Rumble tournament in Fortnite but it does seem pretty unlikely. Then again, there was an Xbox-exclusive tournament so we can’t rule everything out. Fortnite is a battle royale title first and foremost so putting money up for grabs in a game mode that allows players to respawn seems like it’d be a strange decision, even for Epic Games. An Xbox tournament recently took place so Team Rumble wouldn’t really be that odd. If something like this ever did come to the game, it would validate all those players who do play Team Rumble in all of their spare time. However, don’t expect anything like this to come in the near future as Fortnite is still working on a way to nail their current esports scene. The Fortnite World Cup Finals take place July 26-28 and after that wraps up, it’s wide open for what they want to do next

Fortnite coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on new engine – Dexerto
Fortnite coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on new engine Epic GamesEpic Games have announced that Fortnite will be coming to next-generation consoles at launch as the title transitions from the Unreal Engine 4 to 5 in 2021. In a blog post on the Epic Games site, the team laid out some of there plans for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. The big question on everyone’s mind is: how will this affect account progression and items purchased. The good news is that it won’t. “We plan to support cross-progression across console generations and platforms so that your account, progression, and items carry over,” the team said in its announcement. Furthermore, the game will continue to support cross-play between systems, so PS5 owners will still be able to play with and against PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile players, and vice versa. While the game will be coming to next-gen consoles, the team says they will continue to support the game on existing platforms, so even if you don’t get a PS5 or new Xbox at launch, Fortnite will remain the same for you. What’s really interesting, however, is how the game will take advantage of the new hardware, something Epic says it’s excited to share more info on soon. “While we can’t share specifics at the moment, more powerful hardware will allow us to improve performance and visuals,” they announced. “At launch, the version of Fortnite we release on next-gen consoles will be built with Unreal Engine 4. We will migrate Fortnite to Unreal Engine 5 in mid-2021.” For those looking forward to the new batch of consoles, the fact that Fortnite will be available right off the bat is certainly good news for fans of the game looking for something familar. Of course, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will have backward compatibility so while this news might not be too surprising, especially considering all the platforms Fortnite is already on, it’s reassuring to see that Epic is ready for the upgraded systems.

Where to collect books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands in Fortnite Epic GamesTo complete Fortnite Season 5’s Week 7 challenges, you’ll need to collect books from Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands. Here’s where to find them with a handy locations map. Another week of Fortnite action means another set of weekly challenges for players to complete. Following the recent v15.20 update, players will no doubt be looking for more ways to collect XP and level up their Battle Pass. As well as some standard quests like searching chests and destroying Slurp Barrels, Week 7 features a location-based challenge that will require you to collect five books in the Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands areas. It’s easy to complete, as long as you know where to look. Here’s how you can complete the book challenge and earn that sweet, sweet 20,000 XP. Where to find books at Holly Hedges in Fortnite There are two locations you’ll need to visit to complete this challenge, with a choice of books to collect at each one. First up is Holly Hedges, which you can find to the west of the map near Weeping Woods. We recommend landing here as soon as you leave the Battle Bus, as there will be plenty of other players trying to complete this quest during Week 7. Read More: How to get the Predator skin in Fortnite – The first book should appear on the ground floor of the yellow house at the northwesternmost point of Holly Hedges. You should be able to walk up to it and simply interact with it to collect it. The second book is inside the building at the northeastern corner of Holly Hedges, and the third book is located in the tall building at the southeastern corner of Holly Hedges. You can see both of these locations on the handy map above if you need some help finding them. Where to find books at Sweaty Sands in Fortnite Next up is Sweaty Sands. Fortunately, it’s just north of Holly Hedges, so it should only take you a matter of seconds to drive there if you find a car. Even on foot, it shouldn’t take you too long to get there. There will be another selection of books to collect here. The first should appear inside the first building east of the RV park, and the second should appear two buildings east of that one. Finally, the third book can be found in the tall building north from where you found the second one. Fortnite’s next big collab might be with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Dexerto
Fortnite’s next big collab might be with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Epic Games / Paramount PicturesFortnite is reportedly set to introduce the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a future update as part of a new agreement between Epic Games and Paramount Pictures. The next major crossover in Fortnite may be just around the corner. After a year full of highly anticipated collabs with blockbuster IPs, there are no signs of momentum slowing down anytime soon. Opening 2022 with a bang, Epic Games has reportedly signed a new deal. This time, an agreement has been reached with Paramount Pictures, according to Shpeshal_Nick of The XboxEra Podcast. As part of this new deal, everyone’s favorite heroes in a half shell appear to be next in line for a Fortnite bundle. “I’ve been told that apparently, Paramount has signed a deal with Epic to bring properties to Fortnite,” Nick revealed in a January 8 broadcast. While this opens the door for any number of massive collabs, one IP in particular is at the front of the pack: “The main one I had heard about was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Little else is known beyond that. There’s no telling what era of the Turtles we might get in-game, nor when they may drop in. It could still be a while yet if the deal was only just signed. To that point, there’s also no indication of how big their impact might be. We could see a simple cosmetic bundle in the store, or Turtle Power could be the main theme of an entire seasonal update. We’ll just have to wait and see what Epic has in store. The TMNT topic begins at the 1:18:36 mark below. It’s expected that all four turtle brothers will be introduced to Fortnite. However, we’re yet to hear of any additional characters that could join them. From Splinter and Shredder to Casey Jones and April O’Neil, there are plenty of good fits that make sense for the battle royale title. Read More: How to get Spider-Man’s Mythic Web-Shooters – Furthermore, the Paramount deal could also open the door for an assortment of equally popular figures. Everything from Transformers to South Park could now be on the table, if leaked intel holds true.

Fortnite coach shares controversial opinion on older players – Dexerto
Fortnite coach shares controversial opinion on older players Since Fortnite was released, its biggest critics have shared the opinion that it’s a game for kids – and a Fortnite aim coach thinks that critique might not be entirely wrong. When Fortnite Battle Royale released it seemed to be a fun, colorful, child-friendly battle royale game, the game has evolved into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined. While certain aspects of the game, such as building and editing, seemed a minor novelty back in September 2017, it has become an integral part of the game, imperative to seeing any success when playing. That’s what forms the basis of pro aim coach vF_Aimer7’s opinion he shared with Twitter on Thursday, October 10, when discussing how much age matters in Fortnite when it comes to pure mechanical ability. In a series of tweets, Aimer says: “Age matters a lot for mechanics (like aim or building and editing skills). For aim, it seems that you can still compete up to 25 (it’s all downhill from here), but for Fortnite, do you guys know a top creative warrior with cracked build and edit speed who is 25+? What about 20+?” Read More: Where are the Fortnite Season 11 teasers? – He continued, “my theory is that you cannot compete mechanically with 15 years old as you age because your processing speed decreases considerably once you hit 20+. It seems like building and editing skills are even heavier than aiming skills on processing speed.” By the way, my theory is that you cannot compete mechanically with 15 years old as you age, because your processing speed (not the VRT) decreases considerably once you hit 20+. It seems like building and editing skills are even heavier than aiming skills on processing speed — AIMER7 (@vF_AIMER7) October 10, 2019 Though studies suggest that hand-eye coordination peaks at 24 years of age, it’s hard to disagree with what Aimer is saying here. When you look at the most mechanically-skilled players in Fortnite, most of them are hardly pushing 18. Players like Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson and Fortnite World Cup winner Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, who are 15 and 16 respectively, are commonly seen as some of the best Fortnite players in the world, and in most cases blow their older counterparts out of the water.

Fortnite and Coachella team up for new island, skins & Bad Bunny emote – Dexerto
Fortnite and Coachella team up for new island, skins & Bad Bunny emote Epic GamesFortnite has joined forces with Coachella once again, this time bringing a music-themed island and new emotes from Bad Bunny and Burna Boy to the game. To celebrate the return of the world-renowned Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this weekend, the popular battle royale Fortnite is featuring a Coachella Island map for music fans to get involved at home. Coachella Island will launch on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 3PM ET and will feature “creator-made music and art experiences” to discover. It’s been inspired by the vibes of Coachella, so expect desert mountains, palm trees, and day-to-night cycles. Of course, this wouldn’t be a Fortnite collab without some kind of cosmetics to empty your wallets on, so there will be two new skins – Sunset Alto and Desert Dawn Lyric – along with matching cosmetics that will react to music available in the Shop. In keeping with Coachella’s music theme, there will also be two new emotes based on songs from Bad Bunny and Burna Boy, who are both performing at the festival. Finally, the in-game Icon Radio station will feature a range of artists from this year’s lineup. “The future of in-game music and art experiences should not mimic the real world, but reimagine the magic and make it more accessible via a new medium,” said Sam Schoonover, Innovation Lead for Coachella. “We believe that the best way to do that is to enable and empower artists to show us the way. Just like the festival IRL is a stage for musicians, Coachella Island is now a canvas for gaming creators. Fortnite provides the tools needed to invite creators and fans to participate in this creative process.” You’ll be able to access the new Coachella Island with the map code 5449-4207-12803 or by visiting the ‘Epic’s Picks’ row in the Discover tab in the game.

Cloak teases potential Tfue reunion for Fortnite Championship Series – Dexerto
Cloak teases potential Tfue reunion for Fortnite Championship Series Fortnite star Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore could be set to reunite with duo partner Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney as he revealed the squad he would be trying out for ahead of the Fortnite Championship Series. When it comes to competitive Fortnite, there is perhaps no bigger and recognizable duo than Tfue and Cloakzy, as the former FaZe Clan stars picked up a number of early event wins and attracted thousands of fans. However, they fell short in qualifying for the Fortnite World Cup and were unable to cement themselves as the true top dogs. While they played together in matches following that, they had a falling out over a sponsored stream, as Tfue stated that he couldn’t forgive Cloak for what had happened. Yet, it appears as if they could be finally reuniting. During his October 13 stream, the popular Fortnite professional had been, like many others, watching the black hole event and waiting for something to happen, when his chat started asking questions about who he would be teaming up with. Many viewers claimed he ‘leaked’ his squad by briefly showing some private messages, prompting Cloak to explain what was going on. “Okay, wait, okay, we’re testing it chat, we haven’t played together yet, okay,” said Cloak. “It’s not really a leak, shut up! Okay, hashtag leaked, that’s one of the squads I plan to try out,” the former FaZe star added. “One of the squads I play to try out are me, Turner — I’m leaking it! Me, Khanada, Fiber, and Turner.” Of course, with cloak stating that it’s only something they’re trying out, it remains to be seen if he and Tfue will actually partner back up for the Fortnite Championship Series. The FNCS variant for Fortnite Season 11 is, indeed, squads, and a number of rosters have already been announced; including Team Liquid finally using their complete line-up, and Benjyfishy stacking his team with some incredible talent. It’s unknown when the online tournament will be getting underway considering Fortnite is currently unplayable due to the end of Season 10 event. Despite that, though, fans will undoubtedly tune in if they have the chance to see Tfue and Cloakzy teaming up again.

Fortnite: Clever trick will help you track enemy positions during final storm – Dexerto
Fortnite: Clever trick will help you track enemy positions during final storm While Fortnite players are always practicing their aim and building skills, another key facet of the popular battle royale title is being aware of where enemy players could be. This can be especially important towards the end of a game, with the storm closing in to make the available play area incredibly small, meaning it’s likely you’ll find yourself battling an enemy to try and secure the Victory Royale. If you manage to spot an enemy in game and want to keep track of where they were, Reddit user ghoulboy_ has uploaded a clip of a handy trick you may not have known. Especially useful when the game reaches its final circle, this strat allows you to pinpoint an enemy’s position on the minimap, letting you see if their hiding spot is safe from the storm or whether they will be forced to move. Players can do this by simply aiming at the structure or the area where their opponent is, and then placing a marker down on that location, usually performed by either clicking down on the mousewheel of your mouse, or by pressing left on your controller’s D-Pad depending on your bindings. This handy trick can also be used to pinpoint where Supply Crates are going to land, allowing you to set up and prepare for enemies as you try to get your hands on the precious loot. It can be used to great effect in squad games too, as placing a marker down on an enemy build is a quick and easy way to alert your teammates to enemy structures and their locations. Of course, this trick works brilliantly if the player is stationary or using a building or structure for cover, but if the player begins to move, your marker will not follow them and will remain in the area that you spotted them.

Fortnite Clinger grenades receive secret buff that makes them even more powerful [UPDATED] – Dexerto
Fortnite Clinger grenades receive secret buff that makes them even more powerful [UPDATED] UPDATE – February 25 @ 3:00 PM PT Epic Games have announced that a hotfix has been released in Fortnite that “resolved an issue that was causing Clingers to do more environmental damage than intended.” This may or may not be in relation to the “secret buff” discussed in this article. The sticky explosive grenades in Fortnite Battle Royale known as Clingers have received a secret buff since their return, and not many people have been made aware of it yet. Previously, the Clingers had done 100 points of damage to players’ health and/or shield, and 200 points of damage to structures, including player-built walls, ramps, etc… Now, while the health points damage has remained at 100, the structural damage potential has been increased to 400, doubling that statistic from before. What this means is that Clingers can be now used much more effectively when dealing with player-built structures, as a single Clinger can completely demolish a fully built wall structure (150 HP) and brick structures (300 HP) As for metal structures, they can’t be destroyed by a single Clinger as they have 500 HP when fully built, but they can still be severely damaged to the point where a player can simply clean it up by following the explosion with a couple of weapon shots. ImSpeedyGonzalez,’ who first brought this secret change to light, has also outlined a variety of different kinds of plays that players can make with Clingers and take advantage of their newfound power.Plays include sneaking in a Pump Shotgun or another Clinger before an enemy player can rebuild their destroyed barrier, or replacing enemy controller walls with your own and then exploiting them to your advantage. One notable defense that can be used against these new Clingers is ‘self-coning,’ which is hiding under a roof structure and repeatedly rebuilding it after its been destroyed. Apparently, the Clingers’ dropoff mechanic prevents it from harming players who use this tactic. It’s interesting and confusing as to why Epic Games did not reveal this Clingers buff in any patch notes or separate announcement, although it certainly wouldn’t be the first time they’ve secretly adjusted things in the game without telling the player-base. It’s yet another chapter in the controversial existence of the Clingers, who were first introduced in Season 3, nerfed several times, vaulted at the start of Season 7, then brought back later on in that same season. What do you think of this buff to Clingers, and why do you think Epic decided to keep it a secret? Tweet us @Dexerto and share your thoughts!

Fortnite Civil War erupts as players fight over the new Captain Jonesy skin – Dexerto
Fortnite Civil War erupts as players fight over the new Captain Jonesy skin FortniteFortnite’s latest skin has sparked a heated debate among players, creating what many are calling a “Fortnite Civil War.” The controversy erupted after the trailer for Chapter 5 Season 4 dropped, revealing Captain Jonesy in a Marvel-inspired outfit. In the trailer for the upcoming season, several familiar faces from Fortnite sport Marvel-themed attire. However, it’s Captain Jonesy’s look that has captured the most attention. Jonesy, who has become the face of Fortnite since its launch, now wears Captain Marvel’s outfit. This twist has fans split down the middle, which one Reddit user screen-capped and dubbed a “Fortnite Civil War.” After the trailer dropped, the community exploded with polarized reactions to Captain Jonesy coming to Fortnite. One user lamented, “A lot of people will probably disagree, but honestly, Jonesy dressed as Captain America seems like a lame battle pass skin. He looks boring compared to the rest. I doubt many would buy him if he was in the shop.” In contrast, another user defended the choice, questioning the hate for Captain Jonesy in Fortnite. Comments on the post with the screenshot ranged from enthusiastic to critical. One fan said, “Even though we had a Brite Cap skin, I’m a sucker for seeing Jonesy in a Marvel outfit. I’d love to use him in games.” Another Fortnite player agreed, noting, “It’s iconic for Jonesy to be dressed as anything. I’d buy him over the normal Captain America skin any day.” On the flip side, some expressed disappointment with Captain Jonesy in Fortnite. “The design they chose is boring,” one player remarked. “Jonesy had so much potential. I’m most disappointed about Peelvorine though.” As Chapter 5 Season 4 unfolds, Fortnite players eagerly anticipate the season’s Marvel-themed battle pass. However, this enthusiasm might come at the cost of future DC collaborations. Fans hope the Marvel influx doesn’t signal the end of DC’s role in the game, as they brace for more surprises in the coming months.

Fortnite Christmas skins are confusing players in hilarious ways – Dexerto
Fortnite Christmas skins are confusing players in hilarious ways The holiday spirit is running wild across Fortnite, and devious players have been using Christmas-themed skins to catch their opponents completely by surprise. ‘Tis the season for snowball fights and candy canes as a Christmas themed takeover is in full effect throughout the world of Fortnite. While certain skins in the Winterfest event have leaked ahead of release, dedicated players have been devising hilarious new methods of using trusty old skins. With parts of the map redesigned for the duration of the event to more closely resemble a winter wonderland, players have been tricking the competition by dressing in holiday-appropriate costumes and in an attempt to blend into the environment, with surprisingly good results. Retail Row is one such area in Fortnite that has been given a charming Christmas makeover. Presents are scattered across the floors, festive lights are hanging from every corner and candy canes are propped up on a number of walls inside the numerous stores. Christmas nutcracker statues are prevalent throughout the area as well, and while they stand slightly taller than player models, the figures can certainly throw players off for a moment. Utilizing this to their advantage, one crafty player stood perfectly still among the various decorations in Retail Row and amusingly caught their opponent by surprise, spreading holiday joy via one well-timed shotgun blast to the dome. Running through the store and scavenging loot, Reddit user ‘KeyAisle’ was among the final 50 players in the lobby and figured that this particular store on the map was free from opposition since nothing had been touched. Taking only a few seconds to loot the shop, the player quickly turned around and was ready to head out of the store before noticing a new gingerbread man decoration. Assuming that the enemy was in fact a ‘decorative mannequin,’ they got up close in order to take a better look. Realizing just a moment too late that the sneaky gingerbread figure was actually an opposing player, one swing of the pickaxe was all they could manage before being being blasted by the hilariously cheeky enemy, who showed incredible patience to wait before making hthier move on the unsuspecting player. While this trick is undeniably hilarious and could catch any unaware player by surprise, be sure to have an appropriate Christmas skin employed if you’re looking to pull it off yourself. Any traditional Fortnite skin would be easy to spot, and see you get taken care of relatively quickly. Despite this, it’s clear that Christmas-themed outfits can actually give you the upper hand in combat if used in the right manner. You’ll have to be extra vigilant for sneaky enemies for the remainder of the Winterfest event.

Fortnite Chrome Splash: Where to find it & how to phase through structures – Dexerto
Fortnite Chrome Splash: Where to find it & how to phase through structures Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 has introduced the Chrome Splash consumable, so here are the best locations to find it around the Island and how to phase through structures with it. Prepare to get your squad back together, as Fortnite’s latest update is now live. Chapter 3 Season 4 introduces the ‘Paradise’ theme and players can get their hands on new Battle Pass rewards, try out weapons, and explore a revitalized map. As you get to grips with everything that the new season has to offer – including a new secret skin – you’ll also come across the brand new Chrome Splash consumable that changes the game when it comes to traveling around the map. These Chrome Splashes are going to make battles incredibly exciting, so here’s everything you need to know about them. What is the Chrome Splash in Fortnite? The Chrome Splash is a new throwable consumable item introduced in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 that can be thrown at any wall or structure to allow players to phase through them! You can also temporarily “Chrome-ify” yourself to gain immunity to fire damage. You’ll turn into a blob while sprinting, which takes away fall damage and adds an air dash that lets you phase through walls. Where to find the Chrome Splash consumable in Fortnite Just like Chug Splash consumables before them, you’ll be able to get your hands on Chrome Splashes by opening chests and keeping an eye out for them as floor loot around the map. Epic Games have provided players with a detailed explanation, clarifying that “not even wood, stone, brick, or metal is a match for Chrome. An enemy built a structure for defense? Throw a Chrome Splash at the walls to make the walls penetrable — jump right through the building and get the drop on your opponent!” How to use the Chrome Splash to phase in Fortnite Using the Chrome Splash consumable is fairly easy, as the item is throwable just like grenades or the Chug Splashes. To use them, all you need to do is: Pick up the Chrome Splash consumable – Equip it via your inventory – Hold aim to prepare it – Press fire to throw it – Remember that you can throw a Chrome Splash at a wall to let players phase through it, or you can throw it down to Chrome-ify yourself. Then, you’ll be able to use all those cool abilities! Be sure to check out the latest Fortnite guides and news as Chapter 3 Season 4 gets underway.

Fortnite chicken glitch gives players infinite jump boosts – Dexerto
Fortnite chicken glitch gives players infinite jump boosts Epic GamesWhile Fortnite Season 6 kicked off with a bang, Epic’s latest iteration of the BR is far from glitch-free. A new exploit is allowing players to infinitely spam the new chicken jump ability, resulting in some hilarious aerial acrobatics. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 — otherwise known as Primal — kicked off on March 16 with a unique story mission in addition to the usual map updates, new battle pass, and other seasonal content for players to enjoy. A large content drop like this is sure to introduce some unexpected bugs and glitches. Players are already finding ways to break the new version of Fortnite, including some exploits that are giving players a chance to grind out crazy amounts of currency. It turns out that yet another in-game exploit has been discovered, this time involving one of the animals added in the BR’s new season: chickens. This bug gives players a permanent boost to their jumping ability, resulting in some crazy antics and potentially game-breaking advantages. Infinite jump exploit In a video posted to the game’s subreddit, one player shared their experience with the hilarious chicken glitch. In the clip, their character can be seen running along while holding a chicken above their head, and taking advantage of the animal’s unique jump boost ability. Read More: Best Fortnite Hide and Seek codes – The clip took an unexpected turn, however, when the chicken suddenly disappeared, but the player continued to experience the same jump boost that the animal provided before. At first the player wasn’t fully aware of the strange occurrence, but quickly realized what was going on. “I think the chicken just glitched,” they explained to their teammate, and continued “Yeah, there’s no chicken but I [still] have the chicken [jump] ability.” The player showed off just how broken the glitch could be as they quickly climbed the Spire, and totally outpaced the game’s regular movement. The community on Reddit also enjoyed the clip, and several players joked about how broken the bug could be if used effectively. “Due to an issue, we have temporarily disabled the following: chicken,” one user joked, predicting a quick correction of the glitch by Epic. While other exploits introduced in Season 6 (like the gold bar glitch) have less of an impact on other players, the ability to outmaneuver opponents is core to the Fortnite experience, and players can likely expect the jumping bug to be patched out by the developer soon. New glitches will pop up less frequently as the game settles into a more balanced state, but players are certainly finding ways to exploit the BR’s new content in the meantime. Stay tuned for updates from Epic as they work to restore the game’s proper pecking order in Season 6.

How to control a Choppa helicopter in Fortnite Once you’ve entered a Choppa, you can fly higher by using your ‘shoot’ button (R2 on PS5) and fly lower by using your ‘aim’ button (L2 on PS5). Moving around is as simple as using your normal walking controls. You can also use your ‘build’ button (Circle on PS5) to get a short boost, and press the reload/interact button (Square on PS5) to exit the Choppa – although we wouldn’t recommend doing this in the air. Read More: Best Fortnite skins of all time – The Choppa doesn’t have any built-in weapons, but you can switch seats to use any guns in your inventory. Just remember that there needs to be someone in the driver’s seat at all times, or the Choppa will land. Unlike a car, which slows to a halt if it runs out of gas, the Choppa will crash land if you reach zero fuel. That’s everything you need to know about helicopter locations in Fortnite! Fortnite Cheaters Accidentally Gave Themselves Malware – Dexerto
Fortnite Cheaters Accidentally Gave Themselves Malware It was a case of justice being immediately served as players attempting to get ahead in Fortnite accidentally infected their PCs. 78,000 Fortnite players tried to cheat with aimbots, but instead they downloaded malware to their systems. Employees of Rainway, a game streaming app, noticed suspicious activity on their platform the morning of June 26th. Their servers were getting error messages related to advertisements, which was a red flag because Rainway has no advertisements. After some detective work, Rainway noticed that the 78,000 users responsible for the error reports had one thing in common – they all played Fortnite. In an attempt to figure out why only Fortnite players were generating the advert related error reports, Rainway checked out a few YouTube videos that offered ways to cheat in the popular game. “We finally found a match in a hack claiming to allow players to generate free V-Bucks and use an aimbot, two birds with one stone, how could someone resist?” Sure enough, the infected Fortnite players downloaded the program that claimed to be a free V-Bucks generator and an aimbot all in one. Of course, the program was just malware. Rainway describes how the hack works: “We then spun up a virtual machine and ran the hack, it immediately installed a root certificate on the device and changed Windows to proxy all web traffic through itself. A successful Man in the Middle Attack.” A ‘Man in the Middle’ attack is when your data is secretly routed through a third-party location, instead of going direct to the source. If you are worried about your PC getting infected, the simple solution is to not cheat and you should be fine. Rainway would like to see Epic take a stronger stance against cheating and put more of an effort in removing YouTube scam videos. “Epic could do a better job at educating their users on these malicious programs and helping them understand how airtight Fortnite’s systems are at preventing cheating. I’d also recommend they spend more time moderating YouTube to help take down these videos to avert a countless number of people from pwning themselves. Sometimes the allure of cheating is powerful, and a strong presence is needed to help push people in the right direction.” Source: Rainway Blog

Fortnite cheater XXiF mocked by crowd while competing at World Cup – Dexerto
Fortnite cheater XXiF mocked by crowd while competing at World Cup ERIC ANANMALAY/ESPAT MEDIA; Epic Games; AIAThe crowd at the $30 million Fortnite World Cup finals made it very clear that they did not approve of pro player XXiF being there, booing him loudly when he was shown on screen. XXiF was competing in the $15 million Duos half of the World Cup on July 27 with his partner Ronaldo, and many were unsure how the audience’s reaction would be if the infamous pro players were shown on the big screen. Their question was answered when the production team switched XXiF’s point-of-view during the fourth match, the first time he had been shown on the broadcast. While it took the crowd a few moments to realize what was going on, many started booing once they figured out whose POV was being shown. The longer the broadcast stayed tuned in to his screen, the louder and thicker the chorus of boos became, as more and more fans in the crowd joined in on expressing their displeasure. The crowd boos once more as XXiF and Ronaldo are shown. pic.twitter.com/blVEYArmj7 — Ford James :arrow_right:️ #FortniteWorldCup (@FordJamesGames) July 27, 2019 However, as it would turn out, the booing wasn’t even the best part. While XXiF was still being shown on the big monitor, 100 Thieves’ Elevate showed up and eliminated him. Predictably, this led to an explosion of cheering from the crowd, as the fans’ displeasure turned into happiness at the fact that the controversial competitor had been wiped out live on the broadcast. Even 100 Thieves themselves took the liberty of pointing out that it was one of their own who eliminated XXiF, making light of the situation by saying that Elevate “plays for the people.” .@ElevateFN plays for the people. #100T pic.twitter.com/MOyXYr0l3t — 100 Thieves Live (@100ThievesLive) July 27, 2019 To call XXiF’s participation at the Fortnite World Cup finals a controversy would be a heavy understatement. The ex-Rise Nation player was found guilty of cheating by Epic Games themselves after he had been accused of teaming during the third weekend of Solos qualifiers, during which he qualified. He was forced to relinquish his qualification spot and the prize money, and was handed a 14 days suspension from competitive play, the same punishment that his then-Rise teammate Ronaldo was given. As fate would have it, following the conclusion of the suspension, the two players teamed up to qualify for the Duos event during the eight qualifier tournament, which led to extremely negative backlash from many in the community, including prominent content creators and pro players. However, in Epic’s eyes, the punishment had been served, and the controversial pair were allowed to attend the Duos event in New York City, where they placed 28th with 17 points, earning $50,000 apiece.

Fortnite cheater Jarvis wants an unban now that the OG map is returning – Dexerto
Fortnite cheater Jarvis wants an unban now that the OG map is returning FaZe JarvisFormer FaZe Clan member Jarvis has asked for Epic Games to revoke his lifelong Fortnite ban with the return of the OG map. Fortnite has decided to rewind the clock back to its early days by reverting back to the original back for the newest season. This change has been hyped for weeks with Epic sending packages to some of its most famous creators. With the return of the original map along with a battlepass that revamps the look of old skins, players are more excited than ever to return to the game. Including Jarvis, who hasn’t been able to play for almost four years. Epic has gone through changes since banning Jarvis, including multiple layoffs as well as Fortnite developer Donald Mustard stepping down from the project. As Fortnite goes back in time on November 3, Jarvis is hoping that he too can go back and correct his mistake. Jarvis wants to return to Fortnite even for ‘one month’ Popular Fortnite creator SypherPK brought Jarvis on to one of his videos to talk about Fortnite returning to its roots. After going over the changes and what is returning to the game, SypherPK took the time to talk to Jarvis about his thoughts and feelings on Fortnite’s revival. “If there is any Epic Games employees, Fortnite employees that are listening, I think this would be a great time [to unban],” said Jarvis. “Even if it’s not, if it was an unban for say this one month period whilst Fortnite is going back in time, it would be awesome to create one more video playing that game.” When Jarvis was first banned, multiple creators urged Epic to reconsider the lifelong ban. Fortnite’s biggest creator at the time, Ninja, also shared his opinion by claiming the ban was too heavy handed. Despite this, Epic has made no comment regarding Jarvis’ ban and if he will ever be allowed to play Fortnite again.
