First look at major Fortnite Battle Royale Season 8 nexus event iScenario TwitterAs we approach the end of Fortnite Battle Royale Season 8, we have received our first look at the upcoming ‘Nexus’ event, an event that will supposedly take place at Loot Lake. Fortnite dataminers have discovered an upcoming event that will put what has been happening in Fortnite, more particularly Loot Lake, in motion. With the v8.50 update, dataminers have potentially discovered a lot about the near future of Fortnite including what appears to be a way for players to decide on the future of the game going forward. It looks like players can bring back a vaulted item A short video uploaded by well-known Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi revealed a series of pillars appearing that seem like they will end up giving players an option to vote on bringing back one of six vaulted items to the game. These items include the Infinity Blade, Drum Gun, planes, Tactical SMG, Grappler and the Bouncers. While it’s not completely clear that is the case it is what it certainly seems like right now. heres a video of the “”nexus”” which is where the voting will be going on. There is a few assets are are inevitably missing that will be seen during the full event.https://t.co/fYnjGW7ea9 — Lucas7yoshi_ // Fortnite Leaks & News (@lucas7yoshi_) April 27, 2019 Loot Lake seems to confirm an item is being unvaulted There’s a building in Loot Lake that houses six different monitors, presumably symbolizing the six items players are able to vote on. Next to these monitors is a chalkboard with the machine at Loot Lake and “Vault???” written on it, which all but confirms this leak. As with all datamines and leaks, they are to be taken with a grain of salt until we receive actual word from Epic Games. LootLake vault???#Fortnite more: https://t.co/XmqEKMY4p5 pic.twitter.com/WQEFh16B9S — BRLeaks_ • Fortnite Leaks (@BRLeaks_) April 25, 2019 When things like this show up the datamines, it usually means the event is right on the horizon. With this much showing up and with Loot Lake looking the way it does, it looks like we can expect this event sooner rather than later. In the meantime, we’ll just have to pay attention to how the map changes going forward.

  • Fortnite Battle Royale Rune in-game event: Map changes, leaked info and more – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale Rune in-game event: Map changes, leaked info and more Epic GamesA strange new item has appeared in Fortnite Battle Royale, leaving many fans wondering whether or not it could be the first step in a possible in-game event. However, there has been even more interesting developments since. Players who have dropped into a game of Epic Games’ popular battle royale title since 12pm EST/5PM GMT on April 19 may have spotted a mysterious object, a Rune, slowly moving around the map while making a deafening whirring noise. Runes were found in the recent v8.40 update by data miners, however, the purpose of these runes was not disclosed. Yet, it now appears as if they have something to do with an in-game event – so, here’s what we know so far. How many runes have been spotted? A rune was first spotted on Fortnite’s island on April 19, with its initial starting point appearing in the area of Paradise Palms and Lucky Landing. Those monitoring its movements will have seen the rune move towards Fatal Fields, coming close to the Pirate Camp in the area, and also towards Shifty Shafts. It has all slowly inched its way forward over the map, with its final destination appearing to be Loot Lake. In the recent update, Loot Lake received a drastic overhaul and now looks like the site for some sort of experiment – with a metallic seal and multiple government vehicles now residing where chests and loot had previously spawned. But, that’s not all. A second rune appeared on April 23 and fans were quick to share footage of its activation on social media. Lasers, ranging from all across the map, all connected near Loot Lake before the new rune emerged, as seen in the footage from @iScenario. Here’s a video of Rune #2’s activation. pic.twitter.com/Ko9ztcpLBn — Scenario (@iScenario) April 23, 2019 The screengrab below, from @FNInformation, was shared to Twitter on April 25 and shows that a third rune has now been activated in Fortnite Battle Royale. Rune #3 is now activated & volcano update! pic.twitter.com/GmT30EySIW — FortniteBR – Info | Code: BR (@FNInformation) April 25, 2019 A fourth rune logo appeared at Loot Lake on April 27 with a strange new, orange-tinted symbol also appearing. Rune #4 has appeared at Loot Lake. pic.twitter.com/PTKh9TUjWA — Scenario (@iScenario) April 27, 2019 The fifth and final rune is now active, meaning whatever is happening is right on the horizon. The 5th Rune is now activated! now wait for the countdown to appear. Via: @FNJPNews pic.twitter.com/LBCUi0mFnp— HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks (@HYPEX) May 1, 2019 What is the endgame for the runes? It’s unknown just what the item will ultimately reveal. Some players had theorized that it was to tie into the crossover with Marvel’s Avengers, but that turned out to be untrue as the Endgame LTM launched in its own right. It remains to be seen just exactly what unfolds, but it does seem to point towards some sort of in-game event. Epic has been known to trigger massive in-game events after a few days, sometimes even weeks, or teasing and slowing putting pieces into place. Dataminers recently uncovered a ‘Nexus’ in-game event that appears to open up the metallic circle at Loot Lake and uncover a ‘vault’ of some kind – with speculation running rampant about will appear on the other side of the ‘vault’. Volcano In other news, there’s been some more interesting activity in the northeast segment of the map, too. After the second rune activated, the volcano has started to emit smoke. Whether or not this is connected to this potential even or not is unknown. It has since started to emit more and more smoke, too. Asteroids There’s not only this, though, as it seems like asteroids have started to land across the Fortnite Battle Royale map. Footage from Twitch streamer Fearitself shows a number of rocks come crashing down from the sky, as seen below. Whether the arrival of volcano smoke or asteroids is connected to the rune event is unclear, but there’s definitely a chance they could be building towards something. Fortnite rune event audio leaks A number of audio files have also potentially been leaked for what looks like Fortnite Battle Royale’s upcoming rune event, giving fans an idea of how it could all come together – from a sound standpoint. The audio files were posted to Reddit by a member of the game’s online community, madmagic008, and lasts for just under five minutes. There are a lot of mechanical and technical sounds included, but we must stress that – as is the case with any leak – the legitimacy of the files is unknown. Standing on the rune Players have discovered that it is possible to camber onto the Rune and stand atop of it. However, once the mysterious item begins a slight movement, anyone standing on top of the Rune will be sent skywards. Building by the Rune As players are able to do damage to the items, despite its ever-growing health bar, some players have tried their best to build around the Rune in a bid to keep it locked into place. However, if the Rune moves into the path of a build it will ultimately destroy it. Seeing as it is possible to get on top of the moving object, if you’re trying to do so it’s probably best to go behind it and drop down – otherwise, you risk falling to your death. Last updated on May 1, 2019 at 1:01 PM. So, there you have it, everything we know – so far – about the mysterious Rune that has appeared in Fortnite Battle Royale. Be sure to continue following Dexerto for all the latest news and updates about the possible in-game event.

  • Fortnite Battle Royale Players Are Discovering Mysterious Secret Control Rooms Around the Map – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale Players Are Discovering Mysterious Secret Control Rooms Around the Map It looks like a number of mysterious control rooms have been added to the Fortnite Battle Royale map as part of the V4.0 update, with some players speculating that they will be used for a future challenge. The V4.0 patch for Fortnite Battle Royale dropped on May 1st and introduced a number of changes, including the all-new location in place of Dusty Depot which was destroyed by a meteor. As is often the case, a number of unannounced changes have also been included in the update and the Fortnite community has been quick to discover them. Included in these discoveries have been multiple new control rooms, or bunkers, in various locations across the map which have have absolutely no explanation behind them. Reddit user __Kaneda__ was one of the first people to share a video of a command room, located under the blue house in Salty Springs on this occasion. Another Reddit user, TopiKoodaa, found one on the far East of the map, South of Lonely Lodge, in yet another basement opening up onto the edge of a cliff. Some members of the community have suggested that this is yet more evidence of an upcoming superhero theme with the bunkers representing the hidden lairs of various heroes of villains. Others believe that they might simply be used for a challenge where players have to visit a certain number of the bunkers during one match or over the course of the season. We will keep you updated when more information about the strange new rooms is available.

This will randomly choose between items you’ve marked as favorites each match (or from all owned items if nothing is marked as a favorite). – – You are no longer limited to just the 6 slots on your emote wheel for Sprays and Emotes and can now use any of the ones you own in a match! The Locker slots act as a page of presets, but you can cycle through to any emotes marked as a favorite and then all emotes, sorted by type ( L1/R1; LB/RB; Mouse Wheel; Buttons added next to radial menu). – – Added new “Locker Emote Slot” button bindings, which allow you to immediately trigger any of your 6 Emote or Spray presets. – While Auto Run is active, an icon is now displayed. – Improved the look and feel of the Game options tab. – Slightly decreased the size of the arrow over players heads when they are close to you. – The fourth and fifth weapon slots will now default to keys 5 and 6 instead of Z and X when using the “Reset to Defaults” option. – The 4:3 aspect ratio is now supported. – Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where the compass showed ‘360’ when it should have been ‘359’. – Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on the Inventory screen when opening and closing it very quickly multiple times in a row. – Fixed an issue where the “Show Net Stats” HUD option would be reset to off after restarting the game. – Fixed an issue that caused consumable timers to not display when using a consumable immediately after canceling one. – Fixed a spelling error in the description for Tomatohead. – The Squad Comms wheel can now be closed with circle on PS4 controllers, and B on Xbox controllers. – Weapon slot keybinding options are no longer called “Ability Slots” in the input menu. – Weapons + Items The Crossbow has been vaulted. – Rocket Launcher aim reticle is now a fixed size regardless of player movement. – Hit markers are now displayed when looking through a scope. – Increased pickaxe damage against Supply Llamas, now dealing 50 damage per hit. – Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where a weapon could have no ammo when dropping it immediately after picking it up. – Improved pickaxe swing responsiveness when switching from a weapon to the pickaxe and immediately holding the swing button. – Fixed an issue that prevented Hunting Rifles from auto reloading if it was fired immediately after a reload. – Fixed an issue that allowed grenades to be thrown in rapid succession while sprinting. – Fixed an issue where aiming a grenade throw and then switching to build mode wouldn’t cancel the throw. – Fixed an issue with the Builder Pro configuration that caused the players weapon to fire while trying to build in some cases. – Clingers will now properly cling to falling Supply Drops. – Replay System Added an in-game player list to Replays. – Leaving a Replay will now take you back to the Replay browser. – Renaming Replays is now limited to 32 characters. – Increased the size of name column in Replay browser. – Bug Fixes Fixed the alignment of the eliminations column in Replay browser. – Fixed an issue where Replay Browser list couldn’t be navigated with gamepad after cancelling renaming a replay. – Art + Animation Hunting Rifle mesh and animations have been updated. – Shotguns, Revolver, Hand Cannon, and Rocket Launcher have had their equip animations improved – they should now match the equip time. • Fortnite Battle Royale hit a record breaking number of players in August – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale hit a record breaking number of players in August Fortnite Battle Royale has been the most popular video game in the industry for the better part of a year now, and doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon. Since launching in September of 2017, Fortnite’s battle royale mode has broken numerous records in the gaming industry, and continues to smash records set by itself too, with a staggering player count in August. As part of the announcement for the upcoming Fall Skirmish Series, Epic Games revealed that August was their “biggest month yet” in terms of the number of players. According to the post, almost 80 million players across the six platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch) dropped into the island map for a game of Fortnite. “August was Fortnite’s biggest month yet, with 78.3 million of you showing up to play.” Epic says that this increased player count exposed a number of technical issues that need to be improved upon, as the already massive player base continues to increase. “This exposed weak points and allowed us to make targeted improvements to critical systems, such as stats and servers. The Summer Skirmish also, as you all probably noticed, highlighted problems with performance and spectating, which we’ve been working on ever since.” It was reported in July that Fortnite had been downloaded 125 million times, and that was before it was even available on Android. Estimates previously believed around 40 million players were logging in to play every month, but the August player count is near double these estimates. And all of those players is turning into some serious revenue for Epic Games – even for a completely free-to-play game, topping $1 billion total revenue back in May, with over $300 million coming in every month. Fortnite makes its money through in game items such as character skins, backpacks, gliders and emotes, all of which will set the player back some ‘V-Bucks’ – which are purchased with real world currency. • New instant death location discovered on Fortnite Battle Royale map after v8.51 update – Dexerto

New instant death location discovered on Fortnite Battle Royale map after v8.51 update Devastating instant death locations have plagued Fortnite Battle Royale during Season 8 and a brand new deadly spot has been found after the v8.51 update, which players will definitely want to avoid. Players have been eliminated in the past by just standing near these places, which were previously found near The Block and also near the Fork Knife location – resulting in many angry players being thrown out of games for no fault of their own. A new location has now been found in the popular battle royale game, though, and was showcased by streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman in a clip posted to Twitter, where not one, not two, but three players fell victim to the latest deadly bug. Dakotaz showcases exact ‘insta-death’ location Dakotaz, as well as two of his teammates, decided to land at Tilted Towers and were (probably sarcastically) complimenting Epic Games for working hard on patching up some of the game’s issues. “Bro, Fortnite is actually getting so much better lately. They have been really responsive with the community, fixing bugs man, it’s crazy,” he said. However, they spoke too soon, as they were promptly sucked in and taken out by the instant death spot just moments later. NEW UPDATE IS SICK @yelotree @HighDistortion pic.twitter.com/o1YqSo9EUQ — dakotaz (@dakotaz) May 2, 2019 The players were instantly hit with the ‘You have eliminated yourself” message and were ejected from the game, so you might want to be careful when landing at Tilted Towers as there’s a good chance that many gamers could fall victim to this problem. Epic have since released a statement about the problem: “We’re aware of an issue with players being eliminated when walking down into the cellar of Knepley’s Pawn Shop in Tilted Towers,” Epic tweeted. “We’re working on a fix.” Beware of the shady pawn shop cellars! We’re aware of an issue with players being eliminated when walking down into the cellar of Knepley’s Pawn Shop in Tilted Towers. We’re working on a fix. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 2, 2019 When this type of issue has cropped up in the past, the game’s developer has acted fast to resolve the problem, therefore we should expect that fix to be implemented in the near future. We’ll keep you updated!

  • Fortnite Battle Royale: Endgame LTM challenges and how to complete them – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale: Endgame LTM challenges and how to complete them Epic GamesThe Avengers: Endgame crossover event is officially live in Fortnite Battle Royale, with a new limited-time mode (LTM) where players can become their favorite superheros – and there’s a new set of challenges too. The new set of Endgame challenges can only be completed in the specific LTM, as they require you to use the various new mythic weapons, like Thor’s Stormbreaker hammer or Iron Man’s repulsors. There’s a total of twelve challenges, a mix of dealing damage, getting eliminations, winning matches and collecting infinity stones. The infinity stones are the main focus of the new game mode, as Thanos and his army of Chitauri attempt to find all six, while the heroes attempt to stop him. Thankfully, there are respawns available in this mode, which should also make completing these challenges a bit easier, or at least faster. You can see the full list of challenges below, courtesy of @FNBRHQ. Endgame LTM challenges How to complete Endgame LTM challenges A few of these tasks are very straightforward (play seven matches, win matches etc.), but there are some others which will require a bit more effort. To complete the ‘deal damage’ challenges, you will of course need to acquire the weapons mentioned in the challenge. If you are on the hero team, you will be a equipped with a ‘treasure map’ that leads you directly to a mythic Avengers item. Each of these items has an ability, with Captain America’s shield for example able to be thrown and knock down opponents, as shown in the trailer. On the other side of the things, are Thanos and his Chitauri army, whose objective is to find all six infinity stones. That means you will need to be on the bad guy’s side to complete the find three infinity stone challenge. According to the leaked challenges, there isn’t actually a task to deal damage as Thanos, rather only to win a match on his side (even when playing as Chitauri). You do however have to deal damage while using the Chitauri’s jetpack. If Thanos is eliminated, a random Chitauri will be chosen to take his place. In summary, there is nothing too complex about the Endgame LTM challenges, but they will take some time to get through, as you need to get the opportunity to use each mythic Avengers item, and play on both teams, to complete them all.

  • Fortnite Developer Discusses Season 5 Weapon Adjustments, Storm Changes, and More in Latest Dev Update – Dexerto

Fortnite Developer Discusses Season 5 Weapon Adjustments, Storm Changes, and More in Latest Dev Update Epic Games has released the 12th episode of its Fortnite Battle Royale Dev Update series to discuss the changes in Season 5. In the video, developer Eric Williamson talks about the decision making process that went into making weapon adjustments, changes to the Storm, and acquiring Progressive Outfits. The Fortnite Battle Royale Dev Update series is a way for Fortnite developers to directly talk to the game’s vast-player base, offering up commentary and perspectives that can’t be found in written patch notes. Following a major game update, Epic usually will release a short episode that is both tweeted out and published to YouTube. Weapon Adjustments Episode 12 started off with a discussion about weapon adjustments, particularly with Shotguns and suppressed SMGs. Shotguns now have a delay after being shot, to eliminate the quick, follow-up use of another shotgun, and spread of pellets inside the reticle have been changed to shoot in the same dispersion and red dots that indicate which of them did damage. “We wanted to make them more consistent […] Running multiple shotguns was too advantageous and we wanted to make sure that was kept in line with other weapons.” The adjustments made to SMGs include a decrease in fall off damage at longer distances, reversing some of the previous changes that had made them too strong at long range. “We were seeing that the supressed SMG was being picked over Assault Rifles for long range engagements, and we wanted to make sure it fit its role for close to medium range.” Storm Changes The development of Season 5 included some major changes done to how the Storm circle moves, particularly in end-game situations. The cent of the final circles (7,8, and 9) now shifts in random directions instead of simply shrinking, allowing it to move to a new location. “This is to encourage dynamic and exciting gameplay for matches that do reach that length” Progressive Outfits In terms of cosmetic items, one of the new aspects of Season 5 is that players can progress their Battle Pass skins (the ones that can be progressed) beyond the end of the season, giving them much more time to fully upgrade the skin. “We’ve gotten a lot of feedback about Season 4 progressive outfits and the main concern was that people didn’t feel they had enough time to complete them.” The entirety of the Battle Royale Dev Update #12 can be viewed down below.

  • Fortnite Battle Royale Developers Explain the Delay for Week 5 Challenges Following “challenges available in 0 seconds” Issue – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale Developers Explain the Delay for Week 5 Challenges Following “challenges available in 0 seconds” Issue @dronee_Fortnite Battle Royale players around the world started their game on Tuesday, May 29th, to begin working on the new Challenges, but it looks like they will have to wait until May 31st. While Fortnite Battle Royale is completely free to play for anyone that wants to play it, a “Battle Pass” can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks (approximately $10). Each week, a number of new challenges go live for Battle Pass owners to try and complete. This is also the quickest way to earn experience points, rank up to Tier 100, and earn various cosmetics, outfits, and more in the process. The weekly challenges have been going live every Tuesday for a number of weeks, but they were traditionally made available each Thursday and it looks like the game’s developers want that to become the norm once more. Players around the world started up the game on May 29th in anticipation of the Week 5, Season 4 Challenges going live but were met with the countdown clock showing 0 seconds with no challenges actually being available. It turns out, according to Epic Games, that this was entirely intentional. The developers took to Twitter to say that it is a “KNOWN ISSUE” and “This was an intended change to push back Weekly Challenges to Thursdays.” KNOWN ISSUE: Week 5 challenges available in 0 seconds. Week 5 challenges will be available on 05/31 at 4am ET/8am GMT. This was an intended change to push back Weekly Challenges to Thursdays. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 29, 2018 The news hasn’t gone down particularly well with community members as players question the decision to wait until after the challenges were due to go live to inform people. It seems likely that the Tuesday patch will also be pushed back to Thursday as challenges and updates tend to go live at the same time. The expected Challenges for Week 5, Season 4, were leaked on May 26th and can be found here.

  • Fortnite D-Day LTM and new shotgun potentially leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite D-Day LTM and new shotgun potentially leaked Leaks suggest a D-Day style limited time mode will be heading to Fortnite, which could see a brand-new shotgun added to the game. The controversial removal of the pump shotgun is still a hot topic in both the casual and competitive communities with many people feeling its replacement, the combat shotgun, is vastly superior to the tactical version of the weapon. However, with its drop rate currently so low, players are struggling to find it consistently, and Epic Games confirmed the fan-favorite pump could return one day, highlighting the gun is still available in creative mode. After a heavy shotgun was found in the loading screen, many believed it would be making a return to the game, however, it is yet to be reintroduced. Now, a brand-new shotgun called ‘The Bear’ could be added instead, after it was spotted in the potentially leaked loading screen for an upcoming D-Day style LTM – Beach Assault. Will a new shotgun be added to Fortnite? Found by @FireMonkeyFN, the leaked loading screen suggests a new shotgun variant will be introduced in the new limited time mode, but it is unknown whether it will also come to the other regular playlists. ‘The Bear’ is already a weapon in Save The World mode, but with a huge damage rating of 210, it will need to be seriously nerfed in order to be balanced in battle royale. Beach Assault will work similar to Downtown Drop, a creative map which will be accessible via the playlist selection screen. It will pit two teams against each other, one must storm the beach defenses and destroy the doomsday cannon, while the other must repel the invaders at all costs.

To coincide with the release of Infinity War, Fortnite and Marvel teamed up for a crossover event that brought Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet to the game. Now, we are looking forward to round two as the two juggernauts are teaming up for another event. This time it looks like skins could be entering the mix. Whatever it takes. 4.25.19.#FortniteXAvengers pic.twitter.com/XSXcypJZJE— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) April 22, 2019 When does the Avengers event begin? Epic Games announced on Twitter a Fortnite x Avengers event will begin on April 25 and included a teaser image showing Captain America’s shield. The last event focused on Thanos but instead of doing the exact same thing, it looks like Fortnite could be receiving some Avengers-themed skins, which would be a huge hit among fans. Skins were something fans were very interested in when we saw this event for the first time last year, but they never materialized. Since that event, Fortnite has added World Cup and NFL skins so perhaps we could see some Marvel-related ones this time around. What can we expect? There’s little information available for the crossover event at this stage, but its arrival was previously hinted by Donald Mustard, the game’s creative director. The gaming chief tweeted a photograph of Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr with a Fortnite shirt on, leaving many fans questioning whether or not the crossover would soon take place. They know now that it will be. There was a leak earlier this month that indicated Thanos could be making another a return with this event. It’s going to be interesting to see what Epic Games have in store for Fortnite Battle Royale players on the day of the movie’s release on April 25. Reddit user Strantjanet has compiled a list of all the known locations so far, giving you more than enough options to earn the 500XP reward in no time at all: Dusty Divot – On the blue power line next to the right/East of the crater – West of the racetrack/GUS – Triangle of trees – Tilted Towers – On the clocktower – Haunted Hills – On the eagle grave near chest spawn – Risky Reels – On The projector – Pleasant park – Roof middle – Containers – Top of the big shipping container near tomato – Salty Springs – Top of tower overlooking salty – Greasy Grove – At the play area next to the burger joint – Moisty Mire – By the helicopter and big green screen, on a tree stump – Lonely Lodge – On the roof of the Mansion south of Lonely – Wailing woods – Top of the hut in the middle of the maze – Snobby Shores – The letter is at the lantern at the rightmost house (brown one) – Pallet Palace/Town – They changed the hangar at the unnamed location near flush factory (the industry zone) and you can find a letter at the top of the building. – Flush Factory – Near Flush on the top of the new dance floor – It is probably possible to get all of the letters in just one game if you’re good enough to stay alive that long (we’re not). As long as you play out the game (get eliminated or win the match before returning to the main menu), any letters that you collect during a game will be automatically added to the challenge total.

  • Fortnite Battle Royale available physically for first time with Deep Freeze Bundle – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale available physically for first time with Deep Freeze Bundle You can now get your hands on a physical version of Fortnite Battle Royale, by picking up the new ‘Deep Freeze’ bundle, available at physical retailers, as well as a digital version available on all platform stores. You can pick up a physical copy for PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch, which comes with four exclusive cosmetic items and some bonus V-Bucks. Fortnite was released physically before the battle royale mode existed, when it was only PvE, and copies of that original version sell on eBay for over $400. This new physical bundle will set you back $29.99 (£24.99) from retailers or the in-game Fortnite store, and with a V-Buck bonus of 1,000 ($10), the three cosmetic items are being valued at around $20. They are seasonal cosmetics of course as we head into the winter months, and as you could probably guess given the name ‘Deep Freeze’, they are all an icy blue. While this bundle does have a decent price tag associated, when compared to some single skins which will cost around $20, it’s not a bad deal, relatively speaking, especially when it is exclusive to the bundle. Deep Freeze Bundle 1000 V-Bucks – Legendary Frostbite Outfit – Legendary Freezing Point Back Bling – Uncommon Chill-Axe Pickaxe – Uncommon Cold Front Glider – Jump in to Fortnite Battle Royale with the Deep Freeze bundle. Guaranteed to keep you warm on the battlefield, despite its chilly name! The Bundle is available now, and although they are often rotated in the in-game store, this is the first time it is available physically, so Fortnite collectors will certainly be interested in that version. The skin itself also potentially hints at more wintery themed additions coming soon to battle royale, adding to speculation of a winter map makeover, sparked by another skin – the A.I.M.

  • Stats and sounds for leaked Fortnite Battle Royale Burst SMG – Dexerto

Stats and sounds for leaked Fortnite Battle Royale Burst SMG Epic GamesDataminers have uncovered images, stats, and sounds for a weapon which could be coming soon to Fortnite Battle Royale, a Burst SMG. On May 22, Epic Games dropped the v9.10 update for Fortnite Battle Royale, adding the brand new Hot Spots feature to the popular title, as well as a number of bug fixes. As with any new update, curious dataminers and leakers are able to get their hands on unreleased items – be that new cosmetic items, weapons, or even game modes. That’s no different with the v9.10 patch, as a new submachine gun with burst fire has seemingly been uncovered. According to Storm Shield One, a website which tracks in-game weapons, the Burst SMG is expected to have three variants – Grey, Blue, and Green. While this means that it might not seem the most powerful of weapon, the stats suggest it’s set to pack a punch. The damage stats of the gun follows a small increase per different version, starting with the grey’s 23 per hit. The Blue variant will hand out a maximum of 24 damage, and finally, the green will deal 25 damage. Again, that might not seem like anything at all, but it will fire 3.4 bullets per second. In the right hands, it could be deadly at close-range. As expected, it won’t be the best if you’re trying to hit enemies at any more than point-blank range, At a medium distance, the three variants will do 16.1, 16.8, and 17.5 damage. While, at long-range, they will deal 9.2, 9.6, and 10 damage respectively. Burst SMG sounds Courtesy of Fortnite dataminer Slqthy, the sounds that the weapon should make being shot up close, from a medium-range distance and from long-range, have also been revealed. They sound somewhat different compared to similar weapons that are already available in the battle royale game, too. [Battle Royale] Burst SMG sound files! pic.twitter.com/bfjrpC4n32— Slqthy – Fortnite BR/StW Leaks (@SlqthyLeaks) May 23, 2019 When will the Burst SMG be added? Weapons have been added by never seen the light of day. Now, there is no confirmed release date for when the new weapon will join the current in-game arsenal or even if it will be released by the developers. Yet, considering it’s already in the game’s files and its stats have been revealed, its arrival shouldn’t be too far away.

  • Fortnite players split on “overwhelming” number of available Battle Passes – Dexerto

Fortnite players split on “overwhelming” number of available Battle Passes Epic Games/DisneyFortnite players are divided on the need for Chapter 5 Season 2 hosting multiple Battle Passes at the same time, with some calling the game’s many offerings “overwhelming.” The v29.40 update on May 3 will introduce a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass for LEGO mode. Titled LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure, the offerings will remain available for 80 days and allow players to unlock Chewbacca and other in-game rewards like the Tatooine Turret and Tanks Bundle. Given Star Wars Day’s imminence, there’s much excitement surrounding the upcoming content additions. However, some Fortnite faithful have also grown weary of the sheer number of Battle Passes, especially since the LEGO update will represent the third ongoing pass. Once v29.40 goes live, Fortnite will boast a LEGO Star Wars Battle Pass (replacing Avatar: The Last Airbender), a second inspired by Greek mythology, and Billie Eilish offerings for Festival Season 3. Content creator Top5Gaming commented on as much in a Twitter post highlighting the game’s many Battle Passes. Again, it’s worth noting that the Star Wars content will arrive on May 3, the same day Epic shelves the Avatar content. Still, a contingent of Fortnite players can’t help but question the need for having so many Battle Passes running at the same time. One person joked beneath the Top5Gaming post, “Is this Epic Games or EA, ’cause I can hardly tell.” Another user chimed in with the following, “This is a bit overwhelming, not gonna lie.” Elsewhere in the thread, someone commented that the game should be renamed as “Battlenite.” However, some players have defended the multiple bundles, with one person arguing that every mode should get its own pass. “They should do a battle pass bundle for all the game modes,” reads one such comment, to which someone else replied, “Agreed, that’s smart.” Another popular response said Fortnite’s many Battle Passes provide an incentive to keep grinding. “I love it! Gives me a motive to play the game and grind for cool rewards.” Fortnite players will have plenty to sink their teeth into once LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure goes live on May 3.

  • Fortnite’s Battle Bus is leaving players behind thanks to new glitch – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Battle Bus is leaving players behind thanks to new glitch Epic GamesFortnite’s Battle Bus is becoming the source of much frustration due to a ridiculous new glitch that is leaving players stranded on the spawn island. The Battle Bus in Fortnite has always been an iconic aspect of Epic’s popular battle royale as all 100 players in each and every lobby are generously flown over the map. Unfortunately, the mode of transport at the start of each game has been agitating a number of players lately as the bus driver appears to have forgotten about stragglers and left them behind in the starting area. Spawning into a round of Team Rumble on March 11, Reddit user ‘LayzaSkully’ was blindsided as the Battle Bus left them stranded alone on the spawn island. The PlayStation player was immediately hit by the storm as their health started to dwindle away. With seemingly no way off the island, this life was essentially over before it really began. Checking the map for any sign of hope, they were left completely alone while the battle raged on throughout the playable section of the map. While the video cut out relatively early, there’s no way of telling if the player would have respawned over the map and sailed down towards safety, or if they would have just found themselves in an endless deathtrap on the spawn island. “Better get swimming!” ‘hotsaucename’ joked in response to the clip. However, given just how widespread the storm already was, even if players could swim to the mainland, this unlucky spawn still would have resulted in a death nonetheless. There’s no indicating exactly how the issue came to be, though the player seemingly loaded in at the very second in which the match started. Rather than loading in time for the pre-game shenanigans on spawn island, they were dropped into the area right as everyone else left. Seemingly only impacting Team Rumble for the time being, players should still be cautious about stumbling upon a similar glitch in the traditional battle royale playlists, considering they all involved the Battle Bus. Epic is yet to respond to this particular issue, however, another problem has been causing frustration for Team Rumble regulars as players have been spawning into games mid-way through, leaving many to lose without loot, or quit.

  • Fortnite Battle Pass exclusive items will be coming to the Item Shop in the near future – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Pass exclusive items will be coming to the Item Shop in the near future Epic GamesEpic has finally listened to the Fortnite fans and has decided to stop making Battle Pass items restricted. They stated that such cosmetics may be available in the Item Shop soon. Battle Pass is one of the key elements of Fortnite Battle Royale, and is a hot sell among players and fans. These passes contain exclusive cosmetics that are not available to claim after a seasonal pass has expired, nor are they released in the in-game Item Shop. But in a new X post, Epic announced that future Battle Pass items won’t be exclusive to the pass anymore and may be available in the Item Shop after 18 or more months from a Battle Pass expiration. These items include Outfits, Back Blings, Pickaxes, Emotes, Instruments, Decals, Wraps, Loading Screens, Banner Icons, and more. In a detailed blog post, Epic wrote, “A Battle Pass item may include a different number of its alt Styles each time it comes to the Shop. This change lets us continue investing in new and exciting Battle Pass rewards while enabling players down the road to also enjoy the content, including Outfits based on popular licensed characters.” Touching upon the current Battle Pass benefits they said, “Battle Pass benefits stay the same: pages of unlockable rewards you can use across one or more Fortnite experiences. You’ll still be able to progress in the Battle Pass by playing any experience that grants XP!” While this is a move welcomed by many players, some believe this is a “Massive W” given that the next season is rumored to be themed around Marvel characters. One such player said, “The community wants old Battle Passes to return as well.” Another chimed in, “You get over 30,000 V-Bucks worth for just 950 V-Bucks plus 18 months early, then when it comes to the shop after nearly a 2-year wait it’ll cost full price for every single individual item. Battle Passes are still worth it and mean anyone can get items and collabs in the future.” The price of the Battle Pass will remain the same and so will the amount of V-Bucks players earn back by completing the pass.

  • Fortnite Battle Bus driver’s identity may have been revealed by the community – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Bus driver’s identity may have been revealed by the community via undercovertourist / Epic GamesThe Fortnite community believes they have finally discovered the identity of the Battle Bus driver from an unexpected source. Fortnite’s lore can sometimes be confusing, but Epic Games has done its best to make it cohesive across the different universes. The Fortnite lore originally commenced with Save the World, often overlooked as the zombies-like survival mode within the Fortnite world. Save the World features characters not found in Fortnite Battle Royale, like Lars, whom players speculate could be the actual Battle Bus driver. One Redditor took to the platform to start the conversation surrounding who may be the Battle Bus driver or if there even was one at all. “Will there ever be a revealing of who drives the Battle Bus? Possible end game content if that’s ever a thing? Is there any lore surrounding this topic?” asked the original poster. Multiple comments beneath the post featured quotes from Lars, with some commenters believing that these quotes offer evidence indicating that he could be the unidentified driver. “Fill er up if you’d be so kind.” “Need to get back up in those clouds.” “Find and deploy the atlas.” Fortnite has provided scant confirmation regarding what is considered canon in its universe, including which characters from Save the World have transitioned to the Battle Royale mode. Despite frequent discussions about the bus driver’s identity, the truth behind who is truly behind the wheel may remain elusive.

  • Fortnite x Batman event leaked: Gotham, Bat weapons, more – Dexerto

Fortnite x Batman event leaked: Gotham, Bat weapons, more Data miners searching through the files of the Fortnite v10.31 Update have found a number of new cosmetics, items, and map changes that signal the arrival of Batman and Gotham City to the popular battle royale title. Batman Day takes place on Friday, September 21, and it seems that Epic Games and DC Comics have decided to celebrate the ‘Caped Crusader’ with a special in-game event, that sees some of the hero’s classic weapons appear in the game. Tilted Town is also set for a major makeover according to the leaks, with images of a reimagined location appearing in the Fortnite files. The biggest change is coming to the popular location, which appeared during Season 10 as part of a new Rift Zone which stopped players from building or harvesting materials in the wild west-themed point-of-interest. That’s all set to change though, with @Lucas7yoshi revealing that Gotham City, the fictional home of Batman and a host of his villainous enemies will be popping up there. New weapons are also on the way, with a “Grapnel Gun” and “Explosive Batarang” both set to arrive in the popular battle royale game. The Grapnel Gun will propel players towards their “target location,” which means this item is likely a reskinned Grappler, but with Batman utilizing this tool in movies like The Dark Knight, it’s no surprise that Epic wants to give you a similar opportunity to soar through Gotham. An Explosive Batarang is also coming, with the item’s description stating that it “homes in on enemy players and sticks to walls,” and will explode if it “detects enemies in proximity.” Cosmetic items are also included, with two new gliders and a Batman-themed spray, while Lucas7Yoshi also revealed that special Gotham-themed challenges are also coming, which is how fans of the superhero will get their hands on them. On September 19, Tilted Town received its first piece of evidence about the eventual crossover with a Batarang appearing in a hay bale near the rift beacon. This has apparently appeared in tilted town. Details of a Fortnite x Batman collaboration have been circulating for quite some time. The Zero Point miniseries was revealed on February 26, with the first part of the six-issue release dropping on April 20. Prominent data miner ‘iFireMonkey’ shared cover arts and descriptions for the six comics early on March 9. The comic descriptions tell a story of Batman’s journey across the Island, and getting stuck on the other side of the Zero Point. Numerous other DC characters have also been thrown onto the Island; most recently the Flash and Green Arrow. However, there’s potential for more, and a story to boot. • Fortnite removes post banning players in Russia from competing in cash tournaments – Dexerto

Fortnite removes post banning players in Russia from competing in cash tournaments Epic GamesEpic Games have deleted their post which announced a ban for anyone residing in Russia from being able to compete in cash tournaments. This comes off the back of the ongoing war in Ukraine and is effective starting on March 11. With the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Epic Games have made the decision to put Russia on its list of countries ineligible to participate in competitive tournaments with cash prizes, or so it appears. Shortly after announcing this to the public, the company has deleted their tweet and removed the blog post from their website notifying the pro community of the ban. Epic Games deletes tweet that bans Russia from competing In a since-deleted Tweet, Epic Games revealed a ban on Russian-based players that be strictly for tournaments with cash prize rewards. Originally intended to be effective on March 11, all players in the region of Russia would no longer be allowed to compete in Fortnite tournaments that offer cash rewards. However, this doesn’t mean that Fortnite is no longer available in the country. In the removed blog, officials said “Players residing in Russia will still be able to compete in non-cash tournaments and earn in-game cosmetic prizes.” So this means that the regular games modes, along with some competitive tournaments are available for Russia-based players. If any players in Russia still have unclaimed prizes from previous Fortnite tournaments then they would have until March 22 to collect them, per the blog. They said anything that’s still unclaimed will become “frozen until Epic’s payment service provider is able to resume prizing support for players residing in Russia.” At the time of writing this, it’s unknown why this post was removed. We have reached out to Epic Games for comment and will update you when more information becomes available.

  • Epic Games announce delay for long-awaited Fortnite Baller nerf – Dexerto

Epic Games announce delay for long-awaited Fortnite Baller nerf Epic Games detailed what will be done with the Baller in Fortnite going forward, but it will miss v8.30. Fans and players of Fortnite rejoiced when they learned the planes would be vaulted at the start of Season 8 but that excitement was shortlived as Epic Games introduced the Baller into the game. At first glance it didn’t seem like the Baller would be all that powerful but it has proven to be overpowered to go against as it allowed for easy rotations and just an overall annoyance to players. The release of v8.30 of Fortnite is set to bring a variety of changes to the game like Respawn Vans, bug fixes but most importantly, the Baller is finally receiving a nerf. Or, at least that’s what we thought. Epic Games announced the Baller nerf will not be happening with v8.30 but it will be available in a future update. The Baller nerf has been delayed Epic Games revealed in a Reddit post that while the Baller was originally on schedule for a nerf with this upcoming v8.30 update, the changes are still being worked on. Fans have been reassured the changes will still be happening in a future update though, perhaps even v8.40. This fix would allow players to take damage while in the Baller by being shot through the glass, instead of all of the damage going straight to the Baller. What this does mean in the short-term is players are still going to be able to abuse the Baller in competitive playlists, making things less than ideal for those wanting to have a proper competitive setting. The current competitive version of Fortnite is open to a lot of complaints by players and the Baller nerf would’ve gone a long way to fixing the issues that currently plague the game. Dexerto will have all the updates on when the Baller will receive its eventual nerf so stay tuned.

  • Fortnite weapon trick turns Balloons & Flare Gun into deadly combo – Dexerto

Fortnite weapon trick turns Balloons & Flare Gun into deadly combo Epic GamesA Fortnite player unveiled their balloons and flare gun tactic, a deadly gameplay combo that looks risky and fun. Balloons in Fortnite represent more than just party decorations. Players who have them equipped can jump from taller heights and completely negate fall damage upon landing. Introduced during Fortnite Chapter 2, the flare gun’s long-range reach makes it perfect for chipping away at an enemy’s health from afar. The fire damage the consumable deals constitutes an added bonus. But what happens when a player combines the battle royale’s balloon and flare gun tools? Chaos ensues for all involved. This balloon and flare gun tactic makes for great Fortnite fun A gameplay clip from Reddit user Stocazzo2005 showcases the kinds of trouble players can get into by using a flare gun while airborne. While falling with style thanks to a few balloons, the Redditor pulls out their flare gun for a couple of quick shots. The firey blasts connect, for the most part, and set the ground ablaze in the process. However, Stocazzo2005’s ground-based enemy shoots out two of their balloons, resulting in the crafty player dying in their own blaze of glory. At least spreading flames also managed to consume the sharpshooting enemy combatant. As several users pointed out in the Reddit thread, this Fortnite balloon and flare gun combo was risky business that ultimately didn’t work in Stocazzo2005’s favor. It looks like they were having a good time, though, which is all that matters at the end of the day. Had their aim proved a little more accurate, it’s safe to say no one on the ground would’ve stood a chance.

  • Insane Fortnite glitch is making Ballers even more overpowered – Dexerto

Insane Fortnite glitch is making Ballers even more overpowered The Baller in Fortnite can be used as an all-terrain vehicle that even survives the storm if this is indeed working as intended. The big news at the end of Fortnite Season 7 was that planes were being vaulted. Many of the top streamers and pro players were very happy with this move. This was of course before they knew the Baller would be rolling its way into the game with Season 8. On paper, the Baller seems like a harmless vehicle but it has proven to be meta-changing and players rely on it to get around and essentially annoy other players. Changes are coming to the Baller going into the Fortnite World Cup but their presence has already been felt in the game, both competitively and non-competitively. The Baller can tank the Storm Not only are the Ballers very annoying to go against, but it also turns out they can just roll around in the storm unharmed. A clip posted to Reddit shows the ball sitting in a structure just tanking storm surge damage like it’s no big deal. This is very worrying if it is actually working as intended and not a bug. A reply to the video also mentions the ball could just be sitting in a 1×1 structure with a stink bomb going off without damaging the player at all. Realistically, this makes sense since the player is inside the ball. Gameplay-wise, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for the Baller to be invulnerable to the elements, however. Vehicles are being nerfed with Fortnite v8.30 Changes are coming to the Baller in the upcoming v8.30 patch which will nerf the Baller, and other vehicles, as we know. It’s important to get this out of the way as soon as possible with the World Cup quickly approaching. What’s more troubling is the fact Epic Games still held a $500K tournament with the Baller in the state it’s currently in, meaning some players could have gotten an unfair advantage using this newly discovered bug.

  • Fortnite: ‘Backpack Kid’ sues Epic Games over Floss dance emote – Dexerto

Fortnite: ‘Backpack Kid’ sues Epic Games over Floss dance emote Nathaniel Perry / Epic GamesIt seems like everyone is getting in on the fray against Fortnite’s use of monetized dance emotes, as a new lawsuit has turned up aimed at the developers, this time from an unexpected source. Fortnite has a received cases against them from actor Alfonso Ribeiro and rapper 2 Milly for the inclusion of the Fresh and Swipe It dances, respectively. Those taking aim at Epic Games are unhappy with the game’s profiting from creative ideas that aren’t theirs. A new suit from Russell Horning, better known as the ‘Backpack Kid,’ is taking aim at the game’s developer for selling the dance that he helped popularize in the modern era known in-game as the ‘Floss.’ Horning famously performed the dance on Saturday Night Live during Katy Perry’s performance of ‘Swish Swish’ in front of a live audience. It wasn’t until the following year where the dance was added to the battle royale’s Battle Pass Season 2 in 2018. Horning had expressed interest in seeking compensation after a TMZ reporter suggested he be cut a check and maybe get a piece of the pie to which he replied “I think I should. But it’s not that big of a deal, I’m just glad it’s in the game.” Horning and the other parties suing Epic Games are going to need to prove that the dances they popularized can have a copyright attached to them. Horning has also filed for a patent to the dance. This just adds fuel to the fire that the Fortnite developers will have to manage, and the outcome of the case would set a precedent for future content.

  • Fortnite Baba Yaga skin release date leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Baba Yaga skin release date leaked Epic GamesThe release date of Fortnite’s Baba Yaga skin has been leaked ahead of time, and it’s not all that too far away. [jwplayer so0eN9Pk] With Halloween being just around the corner, Epic Games have activated their annual Fortnitemares celebrations. The yearly event has brought changes to the battle royale island, as well as the ability to play as a shadow while your teammate is still alive in a match. Though given its Halloween, and players want to dress in new skins, the devs have brought back some classic looks – including the Skull Trooper – while also releasing some brand new cosmetics like Party Trooper and the Bone Squad. Yet, one of the spookiest skins, Baba Yaga, is still yet to hit the Item Shop. The skin takes its name and look from the classic eastern European folk tale about a terrifying-looking old woman. Fortnite Baba Yaga skin The skin was leaked prior to the recent Fortnitemares update by a number of data miners, though, the wait has been on ever since, with players hoping to see it in the Item Shop. Well, that wait isn’t going to last all that much longer, as leaker ShiinaBR posted that, according to their reliable source, it will be available as a part of the Item Shop rotation on Monday, October 26. In the leaks, the skin is labeled as being ‘Rare’ so, it should set you back around between 1200 and 1600 V Bucks. The Baba Yaga skin will be available in the Item Shop on 26th October, according to a source that has provided correct information in the past! pic.twitter.com/KF9wCOMhbg — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) October 24, 2020 Obviously, while Shiina has posted tonnes of reliable information in the past, the final say, of course, goes to Epic Games and they could very well change their mind and put a different skin in the Item Shop. That might seem like a bit of an extreme move, changing dates just because one has been leaked, but there are plenty of skins that have been leaked in the past that are still nowhere to be seen.

  • Fortnite backflips on controversial age-restricted cosmetics after player backlash – Dexerto

Fortnite backflips on controversial age-restricted cosmetics after player backlash Epic GamesFortnite has already backflipped on its controversial new age restrictions on certain in-game cosmetics following a wave of player backlash. Fortnite, developed by Epic Games, introduced new age and content ratings for every island in-game on November 16. The idea was to inform parents and players about the experiences that each island and game mode would provide and also allow restrictions based on family preferences. However, the announcement came with a catch for many players who had previously purchased in-game cosmetics. The same announcement also revealed that a “small portion” of cosmetics would not be compatible for use on certain islands depending on the game ratings. As a result, players found that they had spent money on in-game cosmetics but wouldn’t be able to use them on their favorite maps, modes, and more, leading many to call for refunds in what they deemed as “the worst update in the history of the game.” It’s a major turnaround from Epic Games, who had previously revealed that the restriction applied to approximately 7% of its skins. These restrictions were based on the content rating of different creative islands within the game, meaning that players could no longer use certain skins in these environments. Most affected were weapon cosmetics, such as pistols and knives, but there were major issues with the consistency with which the restrictions were applied. For example, Michael Myers, a skin representing a fictional serial killer, was not restricted despite its thematic violence. Together with the announcement revealing that the game would be reversing course on the controversial new feature, Epic Games hints at a “big in-game event” coming soon in what appears to be a move to appeal to players following the player backlash. • Fortnite Avoiding the Play Store Will Cause Google to Miss out on “At Least $50 Million” – Dexerto

Fortnite Avoiding the Play Store Will Cause Google to Miss out on “At Least $50 Million” Fortnite is finally available on Android, in its beta stage, but Google could be the biggest losers after Epic Games’ decision to avoid using the Google Play store. Epic Games, developer of the immensely popular battle royale game, decided not to go through the Play Store for the application on Android phones, instead using its own launcher. It is a decision likely motivated by Google’s 30% cut on all microtransactions, and since revenue generated by Fortnite comes from solely from mictrotransactions, Epic Games are unsurprisingly unwilling to hand a chunk of this to Google. So the Android download of Fortnite is done directly through Epic’s own website. Currently, priority is being given to Samsung users and selected other devices – see the full list here. More: Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Five $500K Tournament (Day Two) Format, Standings, and Streams – ft. Svennoss, Secret_Dementos, Solary and More! – The consequences of Epic Games decision for Google then, are quite severe. Such is the popularity of Fortnite and its microtransaction monetization model. Analytics from Sensor Tower estimated a loss of at least $50 million for Google, for the remainder of 2018 alone. Fortnite on iOS has so far generated more than $180 million, of which Apple has received nearly $54 million through its 30% commission. Unaffected by this commission, Fortnite Android could well rake in even more for Epic Games, but it will need to do so without the controls and security that would otherwise be provided by Google’s system. Sensor Tower also points out that by ‘circumventing’ the Google Play Store, Epic will make it more difficult for users of older Android devices to download Fortnite. “We expect this to have some impact on downloads of the game, but not to a large enough degree as to affect its revenue potential in the long run.” Source: Sensor Tower

  • Is Fortnite getting a Devil May Cry & Avatar collab? Rumors explained – Dexerto

Is Fortnite getting a Devil May Cry & Avatar collab? Rumors explained CapcomAccording to reports and possible hints from in-game art, Fortnite’s next set of crossover skins will be from Devil May Cry and James Cameron’s Avatar. But how valid are these rumors, and will Fortnite truly feature Dante from the Devil May Cry series? Fortnite has long been famed for its ludicrous amount of crossover skins, bringing characters from other games and media in events and skin crossovers. The sheer number and variety of crossovers makes it impossible to predict what’s going to come to the game next. And, while Fortnite has already seen many characters from gaming’s most iconic titles step onto the Battle Bus, there are still several iconic series out there that have yet to get their own skin. Devil May Cry looks to be the next series stepping into the spotlight alongside Jake Sully from James Cameron’s Avatar. Devil May Cry and Avatar collab rumored in Fortnite When it comes to the DMC series, it’s really hard to tell which iteration of the series’ iconic characters we’ll get. Dante, Vergil, and Nero are the obvious three picks, although Trish and Lady are series mainstays in their own right. However, the main three characters have had their designs drastically changed over the years, especially Dante. It’s hard to imagine they’ll go with the DmC reboot designs, but, other than that, it really is up in the air. Jake Sully from Avatar is also rumored to be joining along with them. The source of both rumors is the XboxEra podcast, where even the hosts of the show said to take these rumors with a grain of salt. “This week, I was told that Devil May Cry is coming to Fortnite, and I was like… Holy sh*t,” Nick claimed. His source believes Dante is a shoo-in, but the other character alongside him isn’t clear. Additionally, speculation from the community had players thinking Dante was coming to Fortnite soon due to a loading screen hint. And, while many in the community thought the character depicted in the loading screen was Hope, but it’s not an exact match upon closer inspection. As a result, the Dante rumors have much more weight than the Avatar one. Nick, the Xbox host who spread the rumors about these skins, wasn’t overly confident in Jake Sully. “The other one I got told about that I was a bit odd on was Jake Sully from Avatar,” he said. “The Na’Vi are, like, super tall. I don’t know how that would work in Fortnite.” Both of these rumors are to be taken with a grain of salt, but the DMC one in particular has fans of the franchise excited and posting memes on Twitter already. We’ll keep you updated on when the next Fortnite collab drops, whether we’re actually getting a DMC collab or otherwise.

  • Fortnite Avatar skins slammed for “ridiculous” pricing after removal of cosmetic rarities – Dexerto

Fortnite Avatar skins slammed for “ridiculous” pricing after removal of cosmetic rarities Epic GamesAvatar: The Last Airbender has made its way to Fortnite, yet players are upset with the pricing model of the skin and cosmetic bundles. Fortnite’s cosmetic pull has reached massive heights with each new season, with last season alone seeing Family Guy, TMNT, and Solid Snake join Epic Games’ battle royale. Chapter 5 Season 2 follows up last season’s incredible cosmetic pull with Avatar: The Last Airbender joining the game. As part of update 29.20, Katara, Toph, and Zuko are all purchasable skins in the game. Yet, as soon as the iconic trio joined, players were already frustrated with Epic Games’ pricing of the bundles. In a post shared to the game’s subreddit, one player frustratingly stated: “STOP OVERPRICING skins!” They explained that the skins are priced way more than they should be due to new rules set by Epic Games regarding the Item Shop. For the unaware, skin rarities will be dropped from Fortnite, although certain series, like the Icon Series, will retain their tags. This shift in the Item Shop has players worried that skin prices will increase since rarities no longer exist, meaning Epic Games can charge to their liking without proper justification. One reply brutally summed up the gravity of the situation: “They’re going to start considerably raising the prices of skins. Idiots keep saying that rarity doesn’t matter, but it does. With rarity, Epic would have to adhere to the pricing model that they’ve stuck with for the last 7 years. With that gone, we’ll be seeing more and more of this price gouging.” However, one player argued the idea of cosmetic rarities created a deeper issue with Fortnite. “I don’t think putting a nice color on the background justifies any exorbitant pricing they tie to skin but for some reason, people think that the background color had some sort of special meaning when it came to how things were priced.” With the shop changes a work in progress, time will tell how Epic Games handles Fortnite’s cosmetics moving forward. For the time being, Fortnite players aren’t thrilled, and that sentiment might not change anytime soon.

  • “OP” Fortnite weapon allows downed players to damage enemies – Dexerto

“OP” Fortnite weapon allows downed players to damage enemies Epic GamesFortnite’s War Machine Auto Turret is frustrating the community, because of an issue that lets knocked players keep using the weapon. The Auto Turret joined the loot pool at the start of Chapter 5 Season 4. As the name implies, the weapon will auto-fire shots at oncoming enemies when equipped. It’s proven a good backup plan under certain circumstances, especially when factoring in the long reload times of regular guns. However, some players have learned a trick that makes the Auto Turret even more of a menace during tense combat encounters. Users in the Fortnite subreddit pointed out that even downed players can make use of War Machine’s Auto Turret, despite it deactivating once the wearer gets knocked. The tactic works if the knocked player drops the turret from their inventory and picks it back up. For some reason, the gun will reactivate and start firing at enemies, effectively providing cover in case the downed person’s teammate is trying to revive them. TikToker Random Hero shared footage of the presumed glitch in the following clip: “I didn’t think the turret was OP until I was playing duos, knocked someone, and went to help my partner and got knocked by the knocked person’s turret. This shouldn’t be a thing,” said one person in another Reddit thread. Despite the minimal damage it does to enemies, the Auto Turret can chip away at shields and health enough to turn the tide of battle. This combined with its ability to isolate enemy locations makes it a boon for those who have trouble finding the last few survivors when the circle gets small in battle royale. At the time of writing, Fortnite developers have not addressed the Auto Turret’s contentious reactivation ability for downed players. But Epic’s continued nerfs on the Marvel-themed items means the team could come for War Machine’s Arsenal next.

  • Fortnite confirms Attack on Titan crossover with Eren Yeager skin – Dexerto

Fortnite confirms Attack on Titan crossover with Eren Yeager skin Epic GamesFortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is almost here, and Epic Games has already begun teasing a pretty major Attack on Titan crossover complete with an Eren Yeager skin. With a brand new season called ‘MEGA’ launching on Friday, March 10, 2023, Fortnite fans have plenty to look forward to including the usual map changes, new weapons, and a Battle Pass full of skins to unlock. Epic Games has been revealing the skins that will be included in that Battle Pass over the last couple of days, but the latest one is a little more exciting than the rest, as it teases another major anime collab. The image in question features a shadowy figure looking over a neon cityscape with the caption: “There’s more to explore beyond the walls…” Although we’re only able to see the character from behind, Attack on Titan fans will instantly recognize the character (and his outfit) as the popular anime’s protagonist Eren Yeager. You can get a better look at the Eren Yeager skin at the end of this Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 trailer: Considering an Attack on Titan crossover has been rumored for years now, it’s nice to get confirmation that it’s actually, finally, really happening. There have been plenty of anime crossovers in Fortnite over the last year, with characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, and even My Hero Academia appearing in the battle royale as purchasable skins. Those crossovers have also featured weapons based on their respective anime, such as the Nimbus Cloud and Kamehameha from Dragon Ball, so we’d expect to see something similar for Attack on Titan. While we patiently wait for the new collaboration to launch, check out everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 so far.

Fortnite Australia Open 2019: Summer Smash – Final placements and results The best of Australian Fortnite talent congregated at the Australian Open, typically a setting for Tennis only, to put on one of Australia’s biggest ever esports events. The Summer Smash was split into two tournaments, one main solo event for Australian pro’s and amateurs, and a Pro-Am featuring Fortnite personalities and celebrities. As with all Epic Games operated Fortnite events, there was a massive prize pool up for grabs, with $500,000 total for the solo tournament making it the largest prize pool at any Australian esports event ever. This mean there was life changing money on the line, with first place in the solo event walking away with a cool $100,000, and there was $50,000 each for the runner up and third place finisher. Renegades pro Jesse ‘X2Twins Jesse’ Eckley took down first place thanks to a consistent performance throughout the heats, claiming multiple Victory Royales and the $100,000 cash prize. Fortnite Australian Open 2019: Summer Smash – Final Placements The Pro-Am event was a three-match duo competition featuring well-known players and even some celebrity faces. Some technical problems marred the first match, with players unable to load in, but because the Pro-Am was purely for charity, players were courteous about the issues. Another Renegades player. Harley ‘Mrfreshasian’ Campbell, got first place in the Pro-Am too, and the $50,000 first place prize was split between two charities of the winners’ choosing. A $100,000 Polish only tournament starts on February 24, and then another $500,000 international tournament will begin on March 1. Controversially, the March 1 tournament is expected to be the day after the launch of Season 8 of Fortnite, so there are concerns some major changes will come in to play shortly before the competition.

  • Fortnite artist creates brilliant Tfue skin concept for Icon Series – Dexerto

Fortnite artist creates brilliant Tfue skin concept for Icon Series Fortnite artist D3NNI has designed a brilliant concept skin for professional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, as Epic Games’ Icon Series lifts off. The Fortnite Icon Series is the latest innovation from Epic Games, designed to heighten engagement with Fortnite personalities. As arguably the biggest and most successful Fortnite streamer, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was the first content creator to receive his own skin. Epic Games have already confirmed that more Icon skins are on the way, but it is not entirely clear which creators will or won’t receive them. Tfue is one of the biggest Fortnite streamers in the world, but not has always behaved in a way to win favor with its developers. He is not afraid to vocalize his criticisms, something he and Ninja have clashed over in the past. While voicing criticism for Fortnite is not something that will definitely stop Tfue receiving an Icon skin, it can certainly strain relations with developers. Some players have suggested that Ninja does not voice his opinions for fear of missing out on collaborations. Despite the fact that we may not see an official Icon skin for Tfue, Fortnite artist D3NNI shared his take on a Tfue skin perfectly. Complete with blonde hair and headset, he even hilariously includes one of Tenney’s catchphrases at the bottom. TFUE X FORTNITE SKIN CONCEPT After Ninja got a skin in the game, I couldn’t help but think.. who could be next? So here’s my take on another skin in the Icon Series line. Introducing TFUE! 🥳 Hope you guys like it! I’ve also got many more Icon Series skin ideas in the works..🤫 pic.twitter.com/4CIP4aFR8J — D3NNI (@D3NNI_yt) January 18, 2020 The tweet garnered a lot of attention, amassing nearly 5,000 likes at the time of writing. Many Fortnite fans were quick to note its accuracy. Read More: Fortnite Search and Destroy LTM leaked – One said: “Oh my gosh, that’s so dope! [It] looks just like him”. Another echoed: “Denni I literally told you, your renders are amazing recently and you just have to go and prove me right”. Tfue himself hasn’t reacted the skin concept yet though. He did acknowledge Ninja’s skin, joking that he actually had one first as the ‘Jonesy’ default skin looks just like him. He also trolled the announcement by suggesting fans use his creator code when buying Ninja’s skin. We’ll have to wait and see whether Tfue gets a skin in-game, but D3NNI’s tweet has certainly proved there’s an appetite for one.

  • Fortnite ‘Assassin’ LTM concept would turn players into ruthless hunters – Dexerto

Fortnite ‘Assassin’ LTM concept would turn players into ruthless hunters Fortnite fans are calling for Epic Games to consider adding a brand new LTM concept to the game, which would put a new twist on battle royale gameplay. The limited time mode idea, which was posted to Reddit by AframIceland, would certainly be very different to anything we’ve seen in any battle royale game ever. All players in the game would be an ‘assassin’, assigned a specific target to hunt down, but that’s only the first step. After eliminating their initial target, players will continually be handed new missions – to eliminate more and more people across the Fortnite map. This would build towards a 1v1 scenario towards the end of the match. The most drastic change however, is that players cannot attack any other players who are not their current target. Your current target’s location would also be given to you on the map, creating a hunted and hunter scenario. What would set this apart from other LTMs, and even the standard Battle Royale game mode, is that it’s not exactly a free-for-all scenario – your targets would be very specific. The concept has generated some interest on Reddit since it was posted on January 5, with some players slightly confused about how it would work. If you eliminate your hunter, “The person hunting your hunter is now hunting you. Person 1 is hunting person 2, who is hunting person 3. If person 3 kills person 2, then person 1 is now hunting person 3, since their target, person 2, is now dead” Styxdog posted. The mode is somewhat inspired by Assassin’s Creed multiplay modes of old, which would assign players a specific target on the map.

  • Fortnite’s Ares skin originally planned for Battle Pass say “robbed” players – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Ares skin originally planned for Battle Pass say “robbed” players Epic GamesFortnite players claim they were robbed of the Ares skin originally planned for the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass. Fortnite has announced the Crew Pack skin for April 2024 and it features the Greek God of War, Ares, who is also an NPC on the Chapter 5 Season 2 island. However, since all the Greek Gods this season are part of the Battle Pass to tie in with the Myths and Mortals theme, the exclusion of Ares from the Battle Pass has ticked off players. It turns out that the official description for Fortnite Crew Teaser for Ares on YouTube mentioned he would be “Available in the Myths and Mortals Battle Pass.” Obviously, Epic Games made a mistake by putting “Battle Pass” instead of “Fortnite Crew” but quickly changed it once players took notice. The community now believes the skin was originally planned for the Battle Pass but instead got released in the Crew Pack and thinks the Avatar Korra collab skin replaced him. “He was literally the skin I was most excited for, why did a Collab have to replace him”, said one user. “I agree if he was in the battle pass we could have gotten a glider, wrap, emote, contrail, the works. Possibly even another pickaxe maybe a badass sword”, chimed in another player. Moreover, a third one commented, “We were robbed heavily, he could’ve had great styles and a full set but no they had to put a random collab skin in the pass.” However, there’s no confirmation if it was the Korra skin that replaced Ares in the Battle Pass. Although players were quite vocal when they had a first glance at the Ares skin, which looked different from the leaked concept images. Now Ares is all set to release in April’s Fortnite Crew and subscribers can start claiming the cosmetic rewards starting April 1, 2024.

  • Fortnite leaker claims Ariana Grande skin and concert coming soon – Dexerto

Fortnite leaker claims Ariana Grande skin and concert coming soon Epic Games / VevoA new set of Fortnite leaks have suggested that pop superstar Ariana Grande will be arriving on the Island very soon for an in-game concert event. During the ongoing dispute between Epic Games and Apple, it was revealed that a bunch of high-profile collaborations were in the works, ranging from anime characters like Naruto all the way to pop superstars like Lady Gaga. While it’s likely that many of these crossovers were just ideas that never left the planning stages, the recent addition of basketball hero LeBron James proves that they can indeed happen, giving hope for some of the more unbelievable collaborations. Now, a new set of leaks that were shared on the FortniteLeaks subreddit have teased that music icon Ariana Grande could actually be appearing in Fortnite very soon, despite assumptions that the plans were scrapped last year. The anonymous leaker, who was previously correct about Superman, Rick Sanchez, LeBron, and even Season 6’s Foreshadowing Quests all coming to Fortnite, claimed that “Ariana Grande will be coming soon and will have an in-game concert.” Read More: How to get LeBron James Fortnite skin – Perhaps the most interesting part of this supposed leak is that it also claims staff at Epic Games have already done a test launch for the in-game Ariana Grande concert, which means it could be coming sooner than we think. It’s likely that any in-game event would happen when the pop star has something to promote (maybe new music?), so it might be a good idea to keep an eye on Ariana’s social media for any announcements until then. With previous Fortnite concerts from Travis Scott and Marshmello being hugely successful with players and music fans, it’s not surprising that Epic Games would want to do more of them, and you don’t get much bigger than Ariana. That’s not the only interesting thing to emerge from these leaks, though – it’s also claimed that new Justice League and The Suicide Squad skins are on the way, which makes sense with the new movie releasing in August. Here’s hoping we finally get that long-awaited Wonder Woman skin in Fortnite!

As the Fortnite community grows agitated over snipers, and powerful new additions appear to be on the horizon, here’s a full rundown on the most popular weapons in the game today. Pulling data from “thousands of matches” over the past seven days, Reddit user ‘Tough-Definition’ shared a compilation of statistics from NOVOS on each and every weapon currently in the game, and highlighted which loadouts are the most frequently utilized. Dominating the chart is the shotgun weapon type as both the Tactical and Pump shotguns combine for a whopping 55.5% of all eliminations in the Arena playlist. “Less than 1%” of the chart consists of niche weapons like the Harpoon Gun, Minigun, Pickaxe, and more,” the numbers wizard revealed with his stats. The complete breakdown by NOVOS. Assault rifles, submachine guns, and burst rifles combine for 37% of overall Arena eliminations, indicating that alongside shotguns, close to mid-range engagements are by far the most common in Fortnite. The bolt action sniper rifle does man an appearance on the chart, however, the long-range weapon comes in with a mere 1% of kills. Of note, however, all data collected throughout this assessment was pulled directly from PC matches only. The console and mobile experience may differ slightly in terms of the most widely utilized weapons, however, the overall focus on close-range firearms is likely to remain consistent across the board. Developers at Epic Games are obviously keeping tabs on similar data as they balance the game week by week. Perhaps with close-range gunfights completely dominating the game at this point in time, we’ll be in for some potential buffs to long-range equipment. With plenty of new weapons seemingly right around the corner, the meta could be in for a serious shakeup over the coming weeks as Season 2 continues to deliver fresh content.

  • Fortnite April 8 Maintenance Update patch notes – Dexerto

Fortnite April 8 Maintenance Update patch notes Epic GamesEpic Games have dropped the latest update for Fortnite Chapter 2, with the April 8 maintenance patch fixing a number of issues that have been affecting the game on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. Epic Games have been releasing updates much more frequently throughout this season than in Chapter 2, Season 1 — when players complained that the developers weren’t doing enough to keep the game fresh and interesting during the longest season in Fortnite’s history. Following last week’s 12.30 update which introduced the Kingsman Umbrella and Crash Pads, some Fortnite fans were perhaps hoping that we would see even more new content this week. That’s not the case though, with Epic instead prioritizing bugs and performance with the release of a maintenance update on Wednesday, April 8. With Epic Games choosing not to add any new content, the focus is squarely on improving the quality of life for players as they hunt for Victory Royales, by improving how the game feels and plays so that there aren’t any technical hiccups that could cost them a match. As has become a tradition in Fortnite Chapter 2, the developers haven’t released any patch notes for players to sink their teeth into as they try to figure out what has changed, but thanks to their official Trello board, we do have a rough idea as to what has been altered. The following fixes have been confirmed for the April 8 patch: Fortnite April 8 maintenance patch bug fixes Crash when changing styles for cosmetics in the Locker (already fixed in previous patches for PC, Android and iOS) – Codaxe Pickaxe disabled – Low Quality PlayStation 4 Map Textures – Elsewhere, Epic also made a number of improvements to the game, which you can read below. Performance improvements added. – Added stability improvements. – Added fixes for frame-rate drop and lag issues. – Added fixes for game crashing issues. – Other under the hood fixes added. –

  • Fortnite insider claims the next Arcane collab will introduce Mel – Dexerto

Fortnite insider claims the next Arcane collab will introduce Mel Riot Games/NetflixA Fortnite leaker claims that a new Arcane collaboration will introduce Mel to Epic Games’ popular online title. Epic Games previously created Fortnite and Arcane crossover content on two separate occasions. The first of such collaborations went live in November 2021, allowing players to wreak havoc as Jinx. Her sister Vi debuted not too long thereafter, entering the Item Shop with a number of Arcane-themed items in tow – the Piltover Warden Hammer Pickaxe included. While Fortnite players patiently await each character’s return to the in-game store, Epic reportedly has bigger plans in place for its next turn with the Arcane universe. A new Arcane x Fortnite event could add Mel to the game According to notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, two reliable sources have stated that a new collaboration with the League of Legends brand will introduce Mel-themed content. The unnamed sources, apparently, made no mention of a release timeline for the supposed crossover. At the time of writing, it’s unclear if the rumored collab will also reinstate the aforementioned Jinx and Vi items. A host of other fan-favorite characters from the acclaimed Netflix series await their introduction to the world of Fortnite, as well. On top of a Fortnite x Arcane event featuring Mel, franchise faithful have additionally expressed an in seeing Caitlyn join the fun. As Twitter user Vel pointed out, Ekko and his hoverboard would make for a fine addition, too. Given the frequency of Fortnite crossovers, it’s only a matter of time before more League of Legends characters hit the Island. The most recent brand collaborations brought Indiana Jones and several figures from Naruto to the Epic title. Uncorroborated rumors suggest Transformers’ Optimus Prime and Dragon Ball Z heroes could arrive sometime in the future.

  • Fortnite April 5 update patch notes: Chain of Hades buff, Sniper Rifle nerf, more – Dexerto

Fortnite April 5 update patch notes: Chain of Hades buff, Sniper Rifle nerf, more Epic GamesThe April 5 surprise patch to Fortnite has made significant changes to the meta by adjusting the Waterbending Scroll, Frenzy Shotgun, and Chain of Hades. Epic Games rolled out a secret update to Fortnite on April 5 which didn’t require an update download to take effect. Nonetheless, this update has a big impact on which guns to choose to win gunfights. Here is a rundown of all the weapon changes made to the most recent Fortnite update. Frenzy Shotgun Arguably the most powerful shotgun in the current meta, the Frenzy has been taken down a notch in this patch. It now deals less headshot damage and shoots at a slower rate. Fire Rate decreased by 0.20 – Crit Damage multiplier decreased from 1.75x to 1.65x – Reaper Sniper Rifle The Reaver Sniper Rifle has gone through multiple adjustments since the start of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The rifle can now only come in Epic and Legendary rarities as of the last update and has now been nerfed further. Bullet speed and bullet drop-off have both been affected. The Reaver Sniper Rifle now has a slower bullet speed which means the drop off will now happen sooner. Reaver Sniper Rifle is now 1.6 times rarer from chest loot. – Hand Cannon What was once the most elusive weapon to obtain in Fortnite has now been made easier to obtain. Players complained about the spawn rate of Hand Cannons in the past, and Fortnite has now seemingly fixed the problem. Hand Cannon is now 1.6 times more likely to drop from chest loot. – Waterbending Scroll The Waterbending Scroll was added when the Legend of Korra event began on April 2. This mythic item, while a cool concept, failed to stand up against standard weapons. However, Fortnite has now brought Waterbending up a notch. Fire Rate increased by 20% – Damage Increased by 2 (24 instead of 22) – Crit Damage Multiplier increased by .25 (1.5x now, 36 damage for a crit) – Projectile Speed has been doubled – Hitscan Distance has been buffed by ~6.25x – Chains of Hades One of the most unexpected buffs from this update came to the Chains of Hades. What was once considered one of the more overpowered additions to the game has now been given even more strength. First Hit: 40 → 55 Damage – Second Hit: 40 → 55 Damage – Third Hit: 70 → 80 Damage – Hookshot (Secondary attack): 40 → 60 Damage – The latest update doesn’t need a separate download, so when players log into the game next, these changes will already be in effect.

Griezmann was involved in the opening goal for France, but no one was quite sure who actually scored it so dancing did not follow. There was no doubt about France’s second however, as Griezmann scored on a penalty and ran into the corner to bring Fortnite into the World Cup. No more Fortnite dances appeared after the two additional goals. Fans of the French star were not surprised to see the ‘Take the L’ dance as Griezmann has been doing it for sometime at his club team, Athletico Madrid. He also performed the celebration earlier in the tournament against Argentina, but the World Cup Final surely brought in a larger audience. • Fortnite mobile hit with even more restrictions making it for adults only – Dexerto

Fortnite mobile hit with even more restrictions making it for adults only Epic GamesApple and Google Play now have to contend with even more restrictions to continue playing Fortnite on their devices. Due to Epic’s legal disputes with Apple and Google, iOS and Google Play customers haven’t received a new Fortnite update since the game’s removal from these storefronts in August 2020. Fortnite fans who still play via mobile devices have, thus, missed out on everything from its Marvel-centric season to the new Island that went live in December of last year. And the latest news from Epic Games notes that additional limitations on the older build will soon take root. Newer restrictions will make Fortnite mobile for adults only Starting January 30, iOS, Mac, and Google Play users still operating the 13.40 version of Fortnite’s app will be in for a rude awakening. From that date forward, V-Bucks will become useless and an age restriction of 18 and up will fall into place. Epic Games conveyed as much through a Fortnite Status Twitter post. In a subsequent tweet, the Fortnite publisher blamed the upcoming changes on “Apple and Google’s restrictions.” The full statement reads as follows: While further restrictions undoubtedly weigh heavily on those who may have no other way to play Fortnite, all hope may not be lost just yet. On the eve of the new year, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney posted a tweet suggesting Fortnite could return to iOS in full force in 2023. The cryptic nature of the post leaves a lot to the imagination, though, and anything could’ve changed between then and now. As such, it’s possible Fortnite’s status quo on Apple and Google devices will only get worse for the time being.

  • Fortnite apparently change mouse & keyboard recoil amid aim assist row – Dexerto

Fortnite apparently change mouse & keyboard recoil amid aim assist row Epic GamesIt is being reported that Epic Games fixed the issues with recoil for Fortnite players who use mouse and keyboard in their latest update. Recoil for mouse and keyboard has been a huge point of contention for players, who claim that the input actually had more recoil than if you use a controller, which could obviously be a huge disadvantage, especially in a competitive setting. The problem only served to exacerbate the cries of players who have fought against aim assist in Fortnite, claiming that it is overpowered and unfair – but it seems this may have changed. The v12.61 patch is the most recent at the time of writing, the final update before Chapter 2, Season 3 gets underway. While Epic seem to be investigating how to bring controller and mouse & keyboard players to a level playing field, it looks like recoil for the latter has been addressed, if new footage is to be believed. Posting to Reddit, remarkableseif shared a video of themself doing a recoil test using both inputs, and the results should put a smile on the faces of mouse & keyboard players. In the video, you can see the player spraying a full clip of the Rare Assault Rifle, once on each input – and they look almost identical. Prior to the update, mouse & keyboard appeared to have more recoil, meaning they had to make slightly more adjustments when spraying at an enemy. It remains to be seen whether mouse & keyboard players are happy with this change – after all, much of the aim assist debate has centered around the desire for controller players to face a nerf, not a buff for themselves. In fact, some even believe that due to controller players now being able to track enemies over a longer distance, they may have actually received a buff. While the testing is not extensive, it looks positive for mouse & keyboard players, and they will be hoping it’s a sign of things to come going into Season 3.

  • Fortnite, Apex Legends and Overwatch meet in incredible FPS crossovers – Dexerto

Fortnite, Apex Legends and Overwatch meet in incredible FPS crossovers Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Overwatch have all crossed over with each other thanks to the work of one talented designer. Battle royales like Fortnite and hero shooters like Overwatch are all the rage right now among FPS players. In early 2019, Apex Legends was able to step into the fray by mixing those two games together to make a hero-centric battle royale title, and now all three games are extremely popular. The trio of games are different enough from each other than one player decided to figure out what Fortnite would look like with the Apex Legends and Overwatch interface, and the result of that is surprisingly good. Reddit user DesertGrafittiMaker created a mockup showing just what Apex Legends’ character select screen would look like if it was filled with Fortnite characters instead. Instead of selecting character skins in the menu of the game, you would instead choose them before the match, like Apex Legends. Obviously, this wouldn’t be an effective system if you have a ton of skins, so you’d definitely have to select your favorites beforehand. The mashups didn’t stop there, though, as the same Redditor gave us a glimpse at what the Overwatch character select screen would like in Fortnite, and that one might actually work a bit better. What it did do is separate the characters into DPS, Tanks, Healers, and Supports, which meant the creator had to decide what skin fell into each role. You can take a look at what DesertGraffitiMaker decided on themselves for each of the characters below, and see if you agree. Many fans are now wondering what the next crossover with Fortnite will be. The possibilities are near endless as we could see a mashup with League of Legends, Mario Kart, Rainbow Six: Siege, and many others. Considering this same Redditor created both of the designs and each was very well received, it makes sense for them to just stop here. Keep an eye for their next creation soon if they decide to keep it going.

  • Fortnite apparently adding another feature straight from Apex Legends’ playbook – Dexerto

Fortnite apparently adding another feature straight from Apex Legends’ playbook Epic Games/Respawn EntertainmentIn the merry-go-round that is the top battle royale games taking features from each other, Fortnite is reportedly adding a feature straight from Apex Legends, according to the latest leaks. Between Warzone, Apex Legends, and Fortnite, each of them have taken several features from their competition, all working towards becoming the number one battle royale on the market. Most recently, we’ve seen Warzone incorporate ‘Redeploy Balloons’ like those found in Apex Legends, granting players more mobility across Caldera and Rebirth Island. Now, apparently, it’s time for Fortnite to nab a popular Apex Legends feature again, following on from the great success of the temporary removal of building at the start of Chapter 3, Season 2. According to popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX, Fortnite is working on creating a “deployable reboot item,” similar to the Mobile Respawn Beacon in Apex Legends. The Reboot Van in Fortnite was first added into the game after the success of Apex Legends, which featured Respawn Beacons at launch, and was highly appreciated by players of the game who had enjoyed the Apex experience. Before long, Apex introduced Mobile Respawn Beacons, and it appears as though Fortnite is finally looking at following suit, allowing players to revive their eliminated teammates without having to go to one of the regular Reboot Vans dotted around the island. Epic are working on a deployable reboot item, no other info about it tho but they were also working on a feature to deposit gold in reboot vans for whatever reason last season! pic.twitter.com/Cv1YAbCnmz — HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 23, 2022 HYPEX also added that developers Epic Games had been “working on a feature to deposit gold in reboot vans” during Season 1 of Chapter 3, so it might be that they’re weighing up their options when it comes to how best to utilize Reboot Vans. Whether or not they actually introduce a deployable reboot item into Fortnite remains to be seen, but if they do, it could make the game that bit more enjoyable for players struggling to get to a Reboot Van. The Reboot Van itself is often brought up as one of the ideas taken from Apex, with its Respawn Beacons. This is in addition to the ping system, now widely adopted in almost every multiplayer game these days.

  • How to get Ant-Man skin in Fortnite: Release date and price – Dexerto

How to get Ant-Man skin in Fortnite: Release date and price Epic Games / MarvelEpic Games has officially released what may end up being the last major crossover of Chapter 2, Season 5: the Marvel superhero Ant-Man. Here’s how you can get your hands on him and how many V-Bucks he’ll end up setting you back. Chapter 2, Season 4 of Epic Games’ wildly successful battle royale was basically a giant Marvel takeover, with the likes of Black Widow, Iron Man, Venom and Storm getting their own skins in the game. The game’s map also got a superhero-themed renovation, with locations based on many of the franchise’s most beloved characters, including the ominous Doom’s Domain and a Black Panther monument. Players were left a little confused, though, when Ant-Man didn’t get a skin. He had his own landmark called Ant Manor, after all, so it only seemed fitting that he’d appear in the game eventually. While that didn’t happen in Season 4, now is the time for the fan-favorite Marvel character, as he’s available within the game’s Item Shop. Fortnite Ant-Man skin revealed Throughout Season 5, various hunter portals have appeared across The Island to hint at new pop-culture crossovers, as Agent Jonesy brings in hunters from various franchises to help secure The Loop. After leakers shared various assets associated with the skin, Epic officially updated the last in-game portal and teased the inclusion of the hero via teasers on its Twitter account, before finally adding it to the game. The skin itself is pretty simple and seems to be a mix of his design in the comics and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, similar to the other Marvel skins released. This is further confirmed when you look at the mask, which features a slightly different design than the one found in those movies. The skin also comes with an Ant-tonio back bling, a reference to a joke in the Ant-Man films. Players also have a Toothpick Pickaxe, which appears to be a giant toothpick with an olive stuck on to the end of it. All in all, it’s not a lot of items but if you’re an Ant-Man fan, it’ll certainly be worth picking up. Fortnite Ant-Man skin release date and price Ant-Man is available in the Fortnite Item Shop as of March 6, 2021. The skin/back bling costs 1500 V-Bucks, while the pickaxe costs 800 V-Bucks. Like usual, players can also purchase a bundle containing all the items for 1800 V-Bucks, providing a 500 V-Buck discount. One thing we don’t know, however, is when the skin will leave the Item Shop. Generally speaking, skins only last a few days, giving players ample chance to secure them, before getting removed. That being said, considering The Flash was in the Item Shop for a long amount of time, over three whole weeks, it’s unknown just how long Ant-Man will be available for. Regardless, if you want the skin, you’ll probably want to get into the game as soon as possible and buy it.

  • Fortnite announces V-Bucks price increase in multiple countries – Dexerto

Fortnite announces V-Bucks price increase in multiple countries DexertoEpic Games has recently stated that the cost of V-Bucks and other in-game purchases in Fortnite will be increased in multiple countries. Even though this change caught players off guard, here are the updated prices and the countries that will be impacted. When it comes to the number of in-game purchases made by its user base, Fortnite is among the top games. V-Bucks, the game’s virtual currency, are highly sought after by players since they can be used to buy in-game cosmetics that are themselves quite valuable digital assets. Throughout the years, Fortnite players have witnessed several modifications to the quantity or cost of V-Bucks they can purchase from the Epic Games or platform store. There are numerous online tournaments and giveaways where players can get a ton of free V-Bucks, thus they’re worth a lot. Recently, there has been a significant price increase to V-Bucks, even though buying them is easier and cheaper as compared to games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends. Here are the new prices for Fortnite V-Bucks and the countries that will be affected. Fortnite revises V-Bucks prices in Canada, United Kingdom, and Mexico In a recent blog post, Fortnite revealed that it would be adjusting the cost of V-Bucks and other in-game bundles in the United Kingdom (UK), Canada, and Mexico. Epic has announced that beginning on July 17, 2023, the cost of V-Bucks and other in-game bundles would rise in the United Kingdom and Canada to account for inflation. On the other hand, due to currency changes in connection with the US Dollar (USD), the prices of V-Bucks and bundles in Mexico will be lowered at roughly the same time. In a recent tweet, dataminer iFireMonkey compared the new prices to the current prices of V-Bucks and other in-game bundles to demonstrate the impact of the price changes. In the United Kingdom, prices will go up by almost 9%, with the new scale ranging from GBP £3.49 to GBP £69.99. A similar 12% price rise is planned for Canada, where prices will range from CAD $5.99 to CAD $119.99. When compared to their current costs, however, V-Bucks and in-game bundles in Mexico are discounted by a range of 3%, from MXN $79 to MXN $1629. The revised prices, however, does not change the pricing of Fortnite Crew Subscription as they remain £9.99 British Pounds, $15.99 Canadian Dollars, and $249 Mexican Pesos. Additionally, prices for certain bundles (Dark Reflections, Magma Masters, Lava Legends, Summer Legends, and the Wish, Set, Match Quest Pack) will be adjusted when they will become available again in the Item Shop in the future. • Fortnite: Another major change coming to the new X-4 Stormwing plane – Dexerto

Fortnite: Another major change coming to the new X-4 Stormwing plane Epic Games are planning on implementing another major change to the new X-4 Stormwing planes in Fortnite: Battle Royale. According to Epic Community Coordinator Sean Hamilton, more commonly known as ‘MrPopoTFS,’ the amount of damage inflicted upon players riding in the Stormwing when it explodes will be increased The damage currently sits at 25 health/shield points but will be doubled to be at 50, and this change will take place when the upcoming v7.10 update goes live in Fortnite. This news was first revealed when MrPopoTFS responded to someone in the community on Twitter who was asking Epic to increase the damage to 50 points, to which the coordinator responded by saying that it would be changed to 35. However, upon further clarification, it turns out that Epic will, in fact, be increasing it to 50 after all, as the the coordinator followed up his previous tweet with an update. Update: Turns out it just got changed to 50 in v7.10. :innocent: — Sean Hamilton (@MrPopoTFS) December 13, 2018 This is the second major change that will take place involving the X-4 Stormwing, as the current 25 damage profile for explosions was added a week after the plane made its first appearance in the game. However, that did not do much to quell all of the complaints from many within the player-base who feel that the Stormwing is currently the most unbalanced thing in Fortnite, now that the controversial Infinity Blade sword item has been vaulted. Now, with the damage increased to 50 points, the plane should and likely will be a lot more balanced, although we’ll have to wait and see if it’s enough to satisfy the disgruntled players.

  • Fortnite announces throwable to counter OP vehicles in Season 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite announces throwable to counter OP vehicles in Season 3 Epic GamesWhile changing some of the balancing for Chapter 5 Season 3, Fortnite developers have also announced a returning item that could change the way players counter vehicles. The game’s meta shockingly changed to accommodate the new vehicular combat that came as part of the Wrecked update, and many fans have been asking for balance adjustments. It looks like the Fortnite devs listened and while they are implementing tweaks to make cars easier to deal with right now, they are also bringing an EMP to halt the overpowered cars. The official Fortnite X account shared the tease, detailing the balance tweaks coming to the game right now. In addition, the announcement revealed a new electric-based throwable. After the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3, vehicles quickly began to dominate matches. This was due not only to their ability to travel across the map faster, but also the damage they could do. Some vehicles came with mounted Machine Gun or Grenade Launcher turrets, that both had crazy good accuracy and great damage to go along with it. As a result, these cars felt like an automatic win for some fights. When players would get to the endgame, they would often be nothing but cars driving around, rendering anyone outside of one at a loss. In the post, the devs explain that they will be bringing this EMP to the game soon to replace the newly-unvaulted Boogie Bombs. There was no official release date given, but it could launch in the near future. Many Fortnite fans are happy with this announcement, as one user emphatically exclaims in the post’s replies: “I NEVER THOUGHT I’D BE SO HAPPY FOR BOOGIE BOMBS AND EMP’S.” Another player praises Epic for listening to the Fortnite community and what they’ve been asking for. However, not every fan is happy with this change, with others feeling like the team listened to a vocal minority. One user sarcastically comments: “Well that was fun while it lasted.” Other people were not so roundabout in their pushing back on the changes, as one player says: “This is just bad.” When games make these kinds of changes, there will always be fans both praising and railing against them. Fortnite is no stranger to this, but it’s clear the devs want to make sure the game feels as balanced as possible.

  • Fortnite announces Reload mode Cash Cups for Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto

Fortnite announces Reload mode Cash Cups for Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite has announced that competitive cash cups are coming to Reload mode with the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 4 and players are hyped. Since its launch, Fortnite’s Reload mode has been quite popular. By topping 300k players, the mode broke the single-day concurrent player record of the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes of Season 3 combined. The mode now has a consistent player base as the community relives their OG days on the Chapter 1 map. While it is considered a separate game mode and is enjoyable for casuals, competitive players are left to grind in the current Battle Royale map to compete in tournaments. Finally, Fortnite has announced that Reload mode will have its own Cash Cup events in Chapter 5 Season 4, giving players who are playing Ranked Reload a chance to prove their skills. Last month, Epic held a Reload Test Cup to playtest the competition with 40 players in each lobby. After the successful test, Epic is now convinced that the community wants competitive tournaments to take place on their OG map, and the tournament schedule will be released at the launch of the new Marvel season. While the announcement brings exciting times ahead for fans of the Reload mode, players have one major concern with cash cups and that is the imminent influx of cheaters. One such player expressed concern about the cash cups and said: “Honestly I don’t understand why cash cups haven’t been canceled until the cheating problem is resolved. 90% of qualifying teams are cheating.” A similar user chimed in: “Reload cash cups confirmed yes yes yes, please just improve Anti Cheat/Cheater situation.” Another one commented: “Can’t wait for cheaters to be on the top of the leaderboard.” On the other side, the majority of them are excited about a new type of Fortnite tournament format that they believe will be launched in next year’s edition of the FNCS Global Championship, giving Reload players a fair shot at the Victory Royale.

  • Fortnite announces new Reload LTM that brings back classic POIs – Dexerto

Fortnite announces new Reload LTM that brings back classic POIs Epic GamesThe Reload LTM will bring back classic Fortnite POIs and a new map with iconic locations like Tilted Towers. Here’s more on the upcoming game mode. Fortnite is bringing a new hotfix update on June 22, 2024, ahead of the two-day Metallica Fuel Fire Fury live event. While players speculated Epic will add files related to the live event, leaks have surfaced online hinting at summer update files that will be added to the API. However, now Fortnite themselves have announced a new LTM called Reload, which takes players back to the OG Chapter 1 map. It’ll also bring back iconic POIs like Tilted Towers, Retail Row, and Pleasant Park, and a few remixed locations like Lil’ Loot Lake, Lazy Laps, and Sandy Sheets. The teaser shows six locations on a smaller map than the current Chapter 5 Battle Royale island and, according to leaks, it’ll be a shorter version of the BR mode with quicker matches. Moreover, Fortnite posted, “A place of high energy! And forgiveness. All new mode”, right below the teaser thread. But that’s not all. As revealed in a new trailer on YouTube, the new game mode will also be featuring “exclusive footage and gameplay” from “legendary content creators,” referring to Kai Cenat, Duke, Agent00, Davis, Chris, and Sketch who all made an appearance. While players have been waiting for a return of Fortnite OG this year, they were pleased to see the arrival of an entirely new LTM that they hope is “here to stay”. One such player said, “Lol Mini-BR I called it.” Another player explained how this release will solve two things it gives fans the OG Fortnite they’ve been waiting for and it’s a “great testing ground for when Fortnite BR is moved to UEFN.” Even content creators like Nick Eh 30 turned in their excitement and praised Epic while saying, “Fortnite (is) making a comeback this season.” More leaks by iFireMonkey hint at a new BR mechanic where as long as one of your squad is alive, the rest of the squad can respawn without having to be rebooted at a reboot van, similar to Rebirth Island in Call of Duty Warzone.

  • Epic announce $500,000 Fortnite Secret Skirmish event – Dexerto

Epic announce $500,000 Fortnite Secret Skirmish event Epic Games have announced a brand new Fortnite esports event set for February, titled the Secret Skirmish. The Fortnite tournament will take place on February 14 and 15 2019, from a “classified, undisclosed testing facility,” with $500,000 on the line. The event will be an invitational, with Epic Games stating that they will be bringing in the top players from each Open event that has been held on Fortnite so far. Matches will be broadcast via Fortnite’s official channels, and the developers state that fans can expect the “same high-powered matches as TwitchCon and PAX,” but should keep an eye out for new additions to the broadcast throughout the two day event. The Secret Skirmish will be used to prepare the broadcast team for the Fortnite World Cup, which is set to take place later in 2019. While no details have been made available yet, Epic Games did say that they will be releasing more information about qualifying for the World Cup in the near future. The reveal of the Secret Skirmish comes on the back of Epic Games’ announcement that they are changing their approach to competitive Fortnite, and specifically the way in which they release updates before major tournaments. Epic have previously released a number of game-changing additions days, and sometimes hours, before an event, leading to a great deal of criticism from the Fortnite community. This is set to change in 2019, with Epic stating that they will adjust update releases to fit with competitive needs.

  • Fortnite announces changes to shields after player backlash – Dexerto

Fortnite announces changes to shields after player backlash FortniteFortnite has increased the spawn rate for big and small shields after the community reported difficulties finding them around the map. Fortnite has seen a dramatic increase in players since returning to its roots by releasing Fortnite OG on November 3. The game even broke a record for concurrent players, hitting over 44 million in a single day. The return of the original map from 2018 came with the addition of the game’s most popular weapons and skins. Players can return to the days of rocking a knight skin while hiding in a bush with a hunting rifle – but that’s not all that was added back in. Fortnite’s beloved Chug Jug also made its way back into the game. However, players began to notice that the legendary drop was easier to discover than some of the game’s basics. Fortnite adds more shields while keeping the OG feel On November 6, the Fortnite status account on Twitter issued an update to the shield potion debacle. The post explains that players will not be able to find more shields across the map without taking away from the OG experience. “Balance Adjustment,” announced Fortnite. “We’ve slightly increased the drop rate for both Small Shield Potions and Shield Potions in Battle Royale while still keeping things OG.” The change was seen as a “huge W” from the fan base. The replies underneath the announcement were flooded with players rejoicing over the adjustment. Popular Fortnite streamer Symfuhny responded to the post as well, mimicking the excitement of the other responses. “Let’s goooo,” said Symfuhny. The Fortnite OG season just started and still has a long way to go, especially with Fortnite expected to add more content from previous seasons in the coming weeks.

  • Fortnite announce account merging feature – merge PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch accounts – Dexerto

Fortnite announce account merging feature – merge PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch accounts Following Sony’s Fortnite cross-platform announcement, Epic Games is working to promote cross-play with a new account merging system. PlayStation finally gave into demand and pressure from competitors, announcing on September 26 that Fortnite on PS4 would be compatible for cross-platform gameplay, progression and commerce, starting that same day. It marked a major shift in Sony’s policy, having previously said it would never happen because “PS4 was the best place to play”, and also completed the unification of Fortnite on every available platform. To make the process of tracking all your Fortnite progression and purchases (cosmetic items, emotes, battle pass etc.) easier, Epic Games will be implementing a new merging feature. Coming in November, account merging will allow you to link your PSN, Xbox account and Nintendo Switch account, all to a single Epic Games account. This is mainly being done because of the many players who have created two or more accounts, in order to play on their different devices, before PS4 cross-platform was available. 1) An account-merging feature to combine Battle Royale purchases, coming in November. 2) Enabling unlinking a console from one Fortnite account, and relinking to another Fortnite account. Coming in a few days. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) September 26, 2018 This account merging system should solve the other, and perhaps more pressing, issue that PS4 players had when Fortnite was released on Nintendo Switch. The account locking which was in place on PS4, meant that if users wanted to play on their Switch too, they would have to start a fresh account – with none of their progress, skins or battle pass purchases transferring over. Fortnite’s free-to-play model with in-game purchases, and it’s unique and rewarding progression system has likely been the biggest factor in forcing Sony’s hand into allowing cross-play, and more importantly, cross-progression.

  • Fortnite’s Anime Legends Pack features stylish looks for Midas and more – Dexerto

Fortnite’s Anime Legends Pack features stylish looks for Midas and more Epic GamesLater this year, Fortnite will receive an Anime Legends Pack that introduces 10 anime-themed items for a number of fan-favorite characters. This upcoming content release won’t mark Fortnite’s first foray into the world of anime, of course. In November 2021, Epic unleashed Fortnite x Naruto bundles packed with skins for Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha. And this past June, the developer rolled out Rivals – another Naruto crossover that featured skins for the likes of Gaara, Hinata Hyuga, Itachi Uchiha, and Orochimaru. In the coming months, yet another batch of anime-centric content will hit the wildly popular multiplayer game. Epic announces a new Fortnite Anime Legends Pack Today, Epic Games announced an Anime Legends Pack that will hit retail stores on October 14, with a digital release slated for October 22. Those interested in the content can expect to pay $19.99 USD. Epic plans to publish the retail version for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. The pack boasts 10 brand-new items, all of which transform the styles of a few beloved characters, namely Midas, Penny, and Rox. Midas will receive a Golden Gear Outfit, Golden Crash Back Bling, and 24 Karat Katana Pickaxe. Rox’s items include the Ricochet Rox Outfit, Whirlberry Back Bling, and Blazeberry Blade Pickaxe. Fortnite’s Anime Legends Pack will also introduce the Ready Penny Outfit, Little Black Bag Back Bling, and Glimmering Edge Pickaxe. The new pack’s 10th item should come in the form of a Lil’ Kart Emote. This news comes on the heels of Update 21.30’s release, which added the Prime Shotgun and a summer bundle.

  • Fortnite goes anime: Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto crossovers leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite goes anime: Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto crossovers leaked Epic Games / Viz MediaFortnite has taken on everything from film cult classics to pop culture icons, and even sports, but now Epic is taking the battle royale somewhere new: the world of anime, and Demon Slayer, Dragonball Z, and Naruto could be on the list. Whether it’s Marvel in Chapter 2 Season 4 (and beyond), or the seemingly dozens of other collaborations from Alien to Star Wars in Season 5, it’s hard to actually think about what section of pop culture Fortnite hasn’t tried to add. The one big genre missing off their list was anime, and Epic might be looking to out-do themselves by getting the heavyweights on board right from the start. According to Fortnite dataminer Twea, the giant developer behind Fortnite has penned a deal with Shueisha. The Japanese publishing giant is known for producing the iconic Shonen Jump magazine, and is a part-owner of western manga distributor Viz Media. This opens up Fortnite to a huge catalogue of titles ranging from Demon Slayer to Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen to Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia to Hunter x Hunter, and so much more. If the collaboration is to be believed, then the possibilities for future Fortnite collaborations in the anime space are limitless. https://twitter.com/TweaBR/status/1409954163966955523 It comes after Epic’s recent collaboration with DC Comics to publish a crossover comic book series featuring Batman venturing across the Zero Point. The potential for a collaboration on a similar scale with Shueisha is certainly there. Twea did not provide any details regarding what titles will exactly be involved in the deal, or when players can expect a first look. With Season 7 expected to finish sometime in September, there could still be a wait for anime to truly take over Fortnite. However, if you ever wanted to drop onto the Island as Tanjiro, Goku, or Naruto, you might not have to wait much longer.

  • Fortnite animator recreates Deadpool’s Bye Bye Bye dance in-game – Dexerto

Fortnite animator recreates Deadpool’s Bye Bye Bye dance in-game FeraalsA Fortnite animator recreated NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye dance from Deadpool and Wolverine using Unreal Engine, wowing fans with a cinematic tribute. In a special move to celebrate the Deadpool and Wolverine movie premiere, Fortnite introduced exclusive in-game items, including Deadpool and Wolverine skins and the Peelverine Plush Back Bling. The MCU team-up took the world by storm with its revival of NSYNC 2000’s bop, Bye Bye Bye during the opening credits. If you haven’t been able to escape this trend, just know Fortnite hasn’t either. An animator used Unreal Engine to recreate the Bye Bye Bye dance scene from the movie in Fortnite and shared it on X. The animator’s tribute captured the energetic choreography with impressive accuracy. The scene, rendered with vibrant details, brought the iconic dance routine to life. This Deadpool animation quickly caught the attention of the Fortnite community. Player reactions were enthusiastic. The post quickly accumulated almost 300 comments and 70,000 likes in under a day. Fans expressed their admiration for the animator’s skill and creativity. Many inquired if the animator was available for commissions and requested a version featuring the full choreography. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with Fortnite’s Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard even chiming in: “Wow!! Absolutely amazing. You are SO talented! This gives me all the feels.” Despite the excitement, there was notable disappointment among some players. Many felt that the Deadpool dance emote should have been incorporated into Fortnite itself. “Saddens me that they couldn’t slap an emote in the shop for this after the movie dropped,” one fan wrote. The absence of this emote is not the only frustration for Fortnite players. There has been growing discontent with Chapter 5 Season 3, which many are calling the worst season ever. As Fortnite shifts from exclusive battle pass items to a more accessible item shop, the community remains divided.

  • Fortnite & Overwatch 2 crossover mod hit with DMCA for allegedly ‘leaking’ content – Dexerto

Fortnite & Overwatch 2 crossover mod hit with DMCA for allegedly ‘leaking’ content Epic Games/ponyraeeFortnite and Overwatch 2 players excited about the possibility of a crossover between the two titles got a taste of what that could look like in the form of a special mod. Though this mod has since been hit with a DMCA strike for supposedly ‘leaking’ content. Fortnite is iconic for its over-the-top crossovers featuring the likes of Marvel, Star Wars, and plenty of other properties, resulting in other games following suit. Ever since Overwatch 2’s release, the dev team has committed to more crossover events, such as bringing the world of One Punch Man to the game, and have promised even more crossovers in the future. With a Fortnite-Overwatch crossover now a real possibility, one modder decided to show just what an official event could look like by putting numerous OW2 heroes in Epic’s battle royale. Overwatch 2 comes to Fortnite with outrageous modded heroes Videos and photos of the mod, uploaded by ‘ponyraee’ originally showcased quite a few Overwatch 2 heroes rendered in Fortnite, before they were taken down. Tracer, Widowmaker, D.Va, Genji, Widowmaker, Hanzo, and Kiriko were all there and looked amazing rendered in Fortnite with all their details intact. In one video, ponyraee showed off Tracer doing the “Party Hips” emote and looks like it could be ripped right from an actual crossover. Another clip showed off Kiriko in action, chopping down trees, emoting, jumping, shooting and looking great in the process. Proving that a Fortnite crossover with Overwatch could work out quite well. Players were absolutely blown away by the mod, remarking “S-tier content” and “we need this collab asap.” However, the viral footage and screenshots were all soon stripped from social media. The creator followed-up on July 17 to reveal their posts were being hit with DMCA strikes. “Basically Blizzard… Took the posts down. The guy who reported these posts said that I “leaked” content from Overwatch 2. So weird.” For now, this appeared to be nothing more than just a fun mod. But with the DMCA strikes now out in full force, some have begun speculating a future collab is in the cards. We’ll just have to wait and see exactly what the Fortnite and Overwatch devs may or may not have in store moving forward.

Fortnite and Nerf team up to release real life SCAR toy blaster Popular toy manufacturer Hasbro has partnered with Epic Games and Fortnite to release an official Nerf blaster version of the Legendary and Epic Assault Rifle, aka the SCAR. Being sold as the Fortnite AR-L Blaster, it is the first in what will be a series of Fortnite inspired Nerf ‘Blasters’, revealed on October 25. • Fortnite: All zipline locations on new Season 7 map – Dexerto

Fortnite: All zipline locations on new Season 7 map There’s a new means of mobility on the Fortnite Battle Royale map for Season 7, allowing players to attach themselves to magnetic ziplines, while still able to fire their weapon. The ziplines can be the perfect escape when in a pinch, or even used for aggressive plays when you want to push up on opponents fast and surprise them. You may actually be surprised at just how many zipline spots there are following the map update with the v7.00 patch, and knowing the location of all them can be very useful. Epic Games will also almost certainly try to incorporate these ziplines into some of the weekly challenges, perhaps tasking players with using several in a single match. Thankfully, a Reddit user has put in the time and effort to draw up a map showing the location of every zipline on the map, so you can quickly head to the right spots. The majority are in the new snow biome, but there are plenty of other zipline locations dotted around the entire map. Image via u/Zargothrax Unfortunately, a few early glitches were discovered with the ziplines, even launching players far out of the map, but Epic will no doubt be patching these bugs quickly. With all the changes to the map, some locations of other items, such as rifts and vehicle spawns, have had to be adjusted, you can see the map for rifts here.

How to get Fortnite Aloy skin for free: Release date, Aloy Cup, Horizon Zero Dawn LTM Epic GamesIt’s been confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy will be coming to Fortnite Season 6, and there will also be a themed LTM for players to enjoy. Compared to Season 4’s Marvel extravaganza and Season 5’s never-ending pop-culture cameos like The Mandalorian, Street Fighter, and even The Terminator, Season 6 of Fortnite has been relatively quiet on the crossover front. The Battle Pass does feature Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft and Teen Titan hero Rebirth Raven, but aside from that, the focus has been on original designs – which is sure to please fans who have complained that Epic has put too much focus on crossovers lately. However, it looks like we’re about to get our first major crossover skin of the season in the Item Shop, as it’s been revealed by Sony that Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn will be coming to the game very soon. How to get the Aloy skin in Fortnite It’s been confirmed by Sony that the Aloy skin and matching cosmetics – as well as the complete Horizon Zero Dawn bundle – will be available to purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop on Thursday, April 15, 2021. The Horizon Zero Dawn bundle contains the following items: Aloy outfit (1500 V-Bucks) – Blaze Canister back bling (bundle exclusive) – Aloy’s Spear pickaxe (800 V-Bucks) – Glinthawk glider (1200 V-Bucks) – Heart-rizon emote (300 V-Bucks) – Shield-Weaver wrap (500 V-Bucks) – Aloy the Skywatcher loading screen (bundle exclusive) – It’s also been revealed that anyone who owns the Aloy skin and plays Fortnite on their PlayStation 5 will unlock an extra style for Aloy called Ice Hunter, based on the Banuk Ice hunter outfit from Horizon Zero Dawn. The Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle will set you back 2,600 V-Bucks, compared to buying each individual cosmetic for 4,300 V-Bucks. As far as bundles go, this one is pretty good value, as it includes a lot of items. How to get Aloy skin for free in Fortnite While Aloy will be available to purchase for every player from April 15, 2021, it’s also been announced that there will be a chance to get the entire Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle a day early – and entirely for free. The newly-announced PS4 and PS5 exclusive Aloy Cup will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, and the top performing teams in each region will unlock the Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle before it enters the Fortnite Item Shop. In the Aloy Cup, players will compete in Duos to be the last team standing. The trick here is that you’ll get bonus points for eliminations with bows, as the bow and arrow is Aloy’s signature weapon in the Horizon franchise. Players will be able to compete in 10 matches over a three-hour window in order to earn as many points as they can. You can find out the time for your region by checking the Compete tab in the game. Horizon Zero Dawn x Fortnite LTM As well as the cosmetics and tournament, it’s been confirmed that Aloy will also have her own limited-time mode (LTM) based on Horizon Zero Dawn called Team Up! Aloy & Lara, similar to how Lara Croft recently had the Croft Manor LTM. In the new LTM, players will be suited up as either Aloy or Lara Croft, with Aloy only having a Bow and Lara only having Dual Pistols. They’ll need to keep an eye out for dangerous wildlife, and work on their weapon upgrading skills. Read More: The sweatiest skins in Fortnite – Horizon is one of the most beloved new gaming franchises of the last decade, and with a sequel called Forbidden West expected to arrive later this year, it makes total sense for Aloy to appear in Fortnite – especially as Season 6 has a ‘Primal’ theme. Prior to taking a two-week summer break, Epic Games announced that the first trio tournament in Fortnite history would take place on July 13-14, just weeks before the $30 million World Cup in New York City. While trios have been in Fortnite before, it has never been adapted to the Arena Mode, where the siphon mechanic is present as well as an increased harvesting rate. So, here are all the confirmed teams believed to be competing so far… Mongraal – Benjyfishy – MrSavageM Considered one of the early favorites for the entire tournament, three of the best players in EU will partner up. New FaZe recruit Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson links with with NRG duo Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish and Martin ‘MrSavageM’ Anderson. All three qualified the World Cup on multiple occasions and could be a force to be reckoned with. Tfue – Cloak – 72hrs Despite not qualifying for the World Cup duo event, popular duo Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore will be hoping for better luck in the trios tournament alongside Team Liquid’s Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan. 72hrs also failed to secure a spot in New York and hinted he would be trying out multiple trio partners, until he finds the right fit. Aqua – Stompy – Tschinken No team performed better in the World Cup qualifiers than Eleven Gaming duo Klaus ‘Stompy’ Konstanzer and Thomas ‘Tschinken’ Horak, finishing in the top three teams every week in the EU region. Add in solo and duo qualified Aqua, they are rightly among the favorites to win the entire tournament. Bizzle – Zayt – Saf Three of competitive Fortnite’s most dominant players will trio together after Ghost Gaming’s Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller announced he would join forces with fellow Ghost star Rocco ‘Saf’ Morales and NRG Esports’ William ‘Zayt’ Aubin. Given their prowess as a duo, as well as Bizzle’s solo ability, this should also be a team to watch. Chap – Cizlucky – Brush After struggling in the qualifiers alongside his Liquid teammate Poach, Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo won’t be partnering with anyone from his org, instead joining Tempo Storm pro players Chris ‘Cizlucky’ Perez and Craig ‘Brush’ Hechmer. The trio have been practicing relentlessly and their similar playstyles mean they should perform well. NICKMERCS – Nio Rooch – SypherPK Controller duo Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and ‘NioRooch’ revealed they will be teaming with Luminosity Gaming’s Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan due to their chemistry while playing duos together. Sypher’s quick editing and trademark trap plays should combine well with two of the best controller players in the world. Aspect – Bugha – Animal World Cup qualifiers Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and Nick ‘Aspect’ Maguire will partner fellow Sentinels teammate Owen ‘Animal’ Wright – who was tipped as a favorite for the $30m tournament. Despite failing to qualify, Animal will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance alongside two players he knows better than anyone. Dubs – Megga – Clix FaZe Clan stars Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh and ‘Megga’ are considered two of the best players in the world after blowing the competition away in the World Cup qualifiers. To make things even worse for their opponents, they will team with Misfits star Cody ‘Clix’ Conrad – who is also qualified for both solos and duos – meaning they one of the scariest teams currently formed. Khuna – Jarvis – Issa As two of the best controller players in the scene, FaZe Clan’s Jarvis ‘Jarvis’ Kaye and Ghost Gaming’s Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim have an excellent chance of placing highly as they team with Team Atlantis star Dino ‘Khuna’ Smirko. With all players having fantastic aim and mechanical skill, expect them to cause havoc. Ceice – Elevate – Riversan 100 Thieves veteran Davis ‘Ceice’ McClellan joins his teammate Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger as well as the newest Team Liquid recruit River ‘Riversan’ Handley to form an extremely confident NAE line up. All players know what it takes to compete among the best players in the world so should have no issues dealing with the level of competition on offer.

  • Fortnite alien weapon leaks reveal Cowinator & Prop Gun coming soon – Dexerto

Fortnite alien weapon leaks reveal Cowinator & Prop Gun coming soon Epic GamesWhile we have just begun playing Fortnite Season 7, it appears Epic are already working on some new alien weapons that will be coming to the game soon! Fortnite Season 7 has just released at the beginning of June, and players have been getting a chance to check out all the new features Epic have implemented into the game. The new weapons, battle pass, and map changes are among some of the best in Chapter 2, and we cannot wait to see what else is in store for us. Speaking of what Epic have in store for players, it seems a notable leaker within the community has managed to uncover some of the upcoming weapons that are going to release for players. Leaked alien weapons coming soon It is not uncommon for Epic to release a few new weapons into the game upon the season release, and add more as the season progresses. This is also prime time for them to balance the game, and see what players are enjoying and what needs a buff/nerf. Now, it seems they are already intending on releasing some other weapons as a leak by HYPEX has indicated they are working on Cowinator and Prop Gun. 2 Of the upcoming Season 7 weapons: Right: Cowinator (Lifts objects and throws them) Left: Prop Gun (Transforms you to props with a cooldown and notifies enemies nearby every 30 seconds) pic.twitter.com/TmOodEtuGV— HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 12, 2021 These two weapons are rather unique, to say the least, the Cowinator appears to allude to the fact that cows may be coming to Fortnite, hence the unique name of the weapon. While the Prop Gun is something we have seen before, Fortnite did have a Prop Hunt game mode back during Chapter 1, and a weapon to go along with it. Furthermore, one of the POIs during the wacky Season X, allowed players to transform into an object when they crouched, so it is not a concept we haven’t seen before. The release date of these weapons is unknown at the time of writing, and the renders HYPEX was able to uncover seem like they are not that close to being finished. So, around the middle of Season 7 is when we should expect them to release into the game. Epic are known for mixing up their game from time to time, and the addition of these weapons aims to do just that!

  • Fortnite: All locations for the ‘Get a score of 10 or more on different Carnival Clown Boards’ challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: All locations for the ‘Get a score of 10 or more on different Carnival Clown Boards’ challenge One of the more obscure challenges for Week 9 of Season 6 in Fortnite Battle Royale asks players to ‘Get a score of 10 or more on different Carnival Clown Boards’. The task is actually very similar to other minigame challenges that have appeared in Season 6, like the clay pigeon shooting or shooting galleries. The carnival clown boards were actually added to the map in the very recently, and there aren’t many of them, so it’s understandable if you’re not sure where to find them in order to complete this particular challenge. Luckily for you, we’ve put together a map with four clown board locations marked on it. We’re pretty sure these are the only four on the map, and they’re still more than enough to complete the challenge. In the southwest corner of Pleasant Park. – Slightly east of Junk Junction – Close to the bridge northwest of Pleasant Park where the desert changes to grass. – Southwest of Lonely Lodge, just north of the RV park. – You need to visit a total of three different locations clown boards and get a score of 10 at each of them. Trying to play the game twice at the same location won’t result in further progress. All you need to do in order to get a score of 10 is activate the carnival clown board and destroy the balloons as they fly out of the various holes. If you’re struggling with any of the other challenges for Week 9, check out our hub and guides here.

  • Fortnite Alien vs Predator crossover is really happening with Xenomorph skin – Dexerto

Fortnite Alien vs Predator crossover is really happening with Xenomorph skin Epic Games / 20th Century FoxA newly-leaked Fortnite hunter portal has all-but-confirmed that the next major crossover in Season 5 will be the iconic Xenomorph from Alien. The theme of Fortnite Season 5 is supposed to be ‘bounty hunters’ but at this point we’d be more inclined to call it the season of crossovers. In the past few weeks alone, we’ve seen Street Fighter, TRON, and The Flash get skins in the game. After legendary 80s movie villain Predator made an appearance in Stealthy Stronghold, many players were left wondering if Alien would be coming next, especially as the two characters faced off in the Alien vs. Predator movies. While the most recent leaks pointed towards a bizarre Family Guy crossover, it turns out we are indeed getting an Alien skin, as a new hunter portal shared by Fortnite leakers has pretty much confirmed it. Alien’s Xenomorph is coming to Fortnite Prominent Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared the contents of the new portal on Twitter. It features an eery spaceship hallway that resembles the critically-acclaimed 2014 survival-horror video game Alien: Isolation. Read More: Best landing spots in Fortnite Season 5 – That’s not all, as the portal also comes with some terrifying sounds. If you listen closely, you’ll hear the haunting call of a creature that should sound very familiar to fans of the long-running Alien franchise. While we don’t have confirmation of which character from the Alien franchise will be coming to Fortnite right now, it seems pretty obvious it will be the Xenomorph, for a few solid reasons. Firstly, it’s been confirmed by leakers that this will be a male skin, which rules out Sigourney Weaver’s character Ripley. Secondly, an animation for an ‘extra large’ skin was recently leaked, which would certainly make sense considering how big the Xenomorph is. Finally, a bounty hunter hint sheet sent out to major Fortnite players like Ali-A has ‘space bananas’ as one of the only remaining clues that haven’t been released. The Xenomorph’s head is often compared to a banana, and it comes from outer space. Horror fans will no doubt eat this latest crossover up, as it will allow them to recreate the epic face-offs they witnessed in the Alien vs Predator movies – but with added rocket launchers, llamas, and chug splash. With Season 5 expected to end on March 15, 2021, it’s likely that this will be one of the last major crossover skins before Season 6 begins, especially as we don’t really have any clues towards other ‘hunters’ coming to the game. As for that leaked Family Guy crossover? We’ll have to wait and see if it really happens.

  • Fortnite Air Strike first footage will stun World Cup players – Dexerto

Fortnite Air Strike first footage will stun World Cup players Fortnite Battle Royale wasn’t enough to take World Cup finals players by surprise, first footage will more than certainly do the trick. The new item looks as destructive as anything available in the game. The new explosive feature, which has been a mainstay in other battle royale games such as Apex Legends and even PUBG with the red zone, was added by Epic Games via the third v9.30 content update. There have already been some suggestions from those interested in the Fortnite competitive scene that adding the new feature so soon might cause some backlash, especially with it being so close to the Fortnite World Cup finals – which takes place between July 26-28. Esports consultant Rod Breslau, who goes by the name of @Slasher on Twitter, reacted to the news by tweeting “please kill me” moments after the news was announced by Epic, and he isn’t the only one stunned by the new feature. Epic about to add AIR STRIKES to Fortnite two weeks before players compete for 30 million dollars very cool pic.twitter.com/Gk80ciwPfb — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) July 9, 2019 The initial promotional material for the new Air Strike feature showed an entire fortress blasted to smithereens using the item and Epic Games have already confirmed how much damage it will inflict. Those caught up in an Air Strike will see explosions take 75 damage per hit to players and 200 damage to builds, making it a potentially effective tool for those who wield them. It’s fair to say that the reaction from the community has been split right down the middle, with some high profile players sharing footage of how deadly Air Strikes can be in-game along their opinions already. We always think things are gonna be getting better after a few good patches but that feeling never lasts long. That’s my main point. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) July 9, 2019 Clearly, as the damage stats suggest, this is going to be a difficult one for builders to get around. The explosives aren’t coming from the sides, front or back, but the air. It will be interesting to see how the inclusion of Air Strikes will impact the late game in professional matches, but that – of course – will be a hurdle pros need to overcome in the finals of the $30million Fortnite World Cup tournament.

  • Fortnite PC aim assist reportedly nerfed in unannounced 12.61 hotfix – Dexerto

Fortnite PC aim assist reportedly nerfed in unannounced 12.61 hotfix Epic GamesEpic Games have finally made a move to reduce the power of Fortnite controller aim assist on PC in a secret v12.61 hotfix patch pushed onto live servers on May 28, according to new code found by renowned data miner Lucas7yoshi. The suspected dominance of aim assist on Fortnite’s PC version has been the hot topic in the battle royale community of late. Fanbase figurehead Ninja suggested it was like installing an “aimbot,” while Tfue threatened to quit over the feature. Epic has now finally reacted after months of community uproar. On May 19, the developers confirmed they would be making changes once the FNCS Invitational Finals concluded. A week later, the “controller tuning” has landed. Fortnite v12.61 patch hotfix targets PC aim assist Epic reportedly sent the v12.61 patch hotfix live on May 28. The patch should lower the impact of controller aim assist on PC. There was no word from the devs about the change, however, on any of their official channels. Popular Fortnite data miner Lucas7yoshi confirmed the aim assist nerfs instead. The famous code-dipper revealed he had discovered a handful of code strings pushed in a secret battle royale update targeting aim assist. A hotfix was deployed adjusting aim assist on Windows and Mac I do not know what these values exactly mean, but after a restart of your game/going into a match they should be applied (Windows and mac only) pic.twitter.com/amt2dq9hNJ — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) May 29, 2020 Lucas7yoshi added these updated ‘Gamepad.AimAssist’ strings would only come into effect once players “restart the game” or “load into a Fortnite match” in v12.61. The unannounced hotfix has been shipped for both PC and Mac. Here are the four code string changes made in the hotfix: PullInnerStrengthHip — reduced from 0.60 to 0.45. – PullOuterStrengthHip — reduced from 0.50 to 0.38. – PullInnerStrengthAds — reduced from 0.70 to 0.52. – PullOuterStrengthAds — reduced from 0.40 to 0.30. – Epic also secretly ships two PC aim assist buffs The 12.61 hotfix comes just days after Fortnite players discovered Epic had secretly buffed aim assist this week, both of which may keep the feature relevant. These changes — also completely unannounced by Epic — tweaked two values for the title’s infamous feature. One was its ability to track players through builds. The other was a small boost to aim assist range: it now works past 100 meters. So they buffed aim assist… (Before the update, you don’t have aim assist past 100 meters, now you do. pic.twitter.com/sgMup2YInw — Clix (@Clix) May 26, 2020 These new aim assist changes in v12.61 are far from the only secret swaps Epic have made as Fortnite barrels towards the end of Season 2 in early June either: the huge battle royale’s storm has also been deliberately tampered with. Unfortunately, there may still be a bit of a wait before Fortnite Season 3 finally arrives though, after Epic confirmed the highly-anticipated seasonal switch — and the huge Doomsday event — has been delayed until June 11.

  • Fortnite adds Score Royale LTM for Day 8 of 14 Days of Fortnite – Dexerto

Fortnite adds Score Royale LTM for Day 8 of 14 Days of Fortnite It’s the eighth day of 14 Days of Fortnite, which means a fresh limited time mode (LTM) has dropped – Score Royale – putting a twist on the standard battle royale gameplay. Score Royale was first added to Fortnite back in Season 5, but hasn’t been seen since, but not for lack of demand. A fan favorite mode, players must collect coins and complete other actions to rack up score and come out with the victory royale. Players must aim to collect points, and can do so by finding coins, opening loot containers and of course by eliminating other players. The first player to reach to 3000 points in duos, which is the mode it’s currently available in, will be victorious. It’s also typically 2000 in solos and 4500 in squads. You can see a full breakdown of how many points you will earn for certain actions, courtesy of FortniteGamepedia. There’s some other gameplay changes too, with the early storm circles slightly larger and moving slightly slower, but the later storms will move in much more aggressively as the match comes to a climax. All loot and weapons are completely normal however, so it’s otherwise just a straight up match. As well as the new LTM, there’s also a fresh challenge and reward for Day 8 – see our full challenge and reward guide here.

  • Fortnite Agent at Durrr Burger Desert Site Suspiciously Drops Book To Possibly Reveal Another Hint About Season 5 – Dexerto

Fortnite Agent at Durrr Burger Desert Site Suspiciously Drops Book To Possibly Reveal Another Hint About Season 5 The Alternate Reality Game that Epic Games have been playing in offering real world clues for Fortnite’s Season 5 keeps getting more and more mysterious. The latest development once again involves the unnamed Agent, who is simply identified as #3678, who has been seen around the Durrr Burger sign located in a California desert. On what appears to be a live-stream, Agent #3678 suspiciously dropped a book he was carrying for few seconds, and it landed open on page 28. On the page, there were several letters circled, and upon closer look, the letters together spell the word “nothing.” The book the Agent was carrying is called “Return to the Stars” by Erich Von Daniken, which, according to Google Books, “presents the theory that extraterrestrial beings have visited the Earth throughout this planet’s existence.” There are several things here that are worth closer examination. The first being the word “nothing” and what it could possibly mean when it comes to Season 5. Could Epic Games be revealing the fact that all of what they have done over the past few days means nothing and was just a wild goose chase? Or, this could be a message that there is nothing more to see at the Durrr Burger desert site, and that everything which had to be seen and discovered already has been. Read More: Decoded Durrr Burger Phone Message Points to a Location in France and Reveals More Clues About Season 5 in Fortnite – Obviously the choice of literature and the message it presents cannot be a mere coincidence; Epic has been toying with the idea of extraterrestrials visiting the Fortnite map for almost all of Season 4. However, could this be a sign or hint of what lays in store for Season 5? The connection between the book’s ideas and the large cracks in the game’s sky should not go unnoticed. Perhaps this is foreshadowing the possibility that the next Season will start off with something coming through the cracks and into Fortnite.
