  • First look at Fortnite’s hilarious Sneaky Snowman item – Dexerto

First look at Fortnite’s hilarious Sneaky Snowman item Fortnite’s V7.20 Content Update officially went live on Tuesday, January 22, and brought with it a brand new item called the Sneaky Snowman. First leaked on Sunday, January 20, the Sneaky Snowman works in a similar way to another of Fortnite’s items, the Bush. While players were unsure of what to make of the new item when it was officially announced via the game’s news feed on Monday, many have called the Sneaky Snowman one of the funniest items added to the title yet. This is because of the comical animations that appear when a player uses it, especially when they began to move around while wearing the item. The Sneaky Snowman works much like the Bush in that it’s design is to help players disguise themselves around the map. The Sneaky Snowman can be placed over themselves to provide a clever disguise, but can also be thrown n down anywhere as a distraction, meaning Fortnite fans hiding inside one can blend in with the placed versions of the item. Whenever a player who is wearing it decides to move, the Snowman itself is lifted up, and the players legs can be seen running underneath it, like something you would see in a cartoon. new sneaky snowman gameplay btw guys laughed so much at this so funny. hope you enjoy #Fortnite #XboxShare pic.twitter.com/zzgr7fpTzV — kayla’s fortnite clips (@Fortnit23606361) January 22, 2019 The 7.20 Content Update for Fortnite also brought some sweeping changes to the game, as three items were placed into the Vault, including the fan-favorite Clinger, which is sure to rile up some of the community’s most recognizable faces. The update is live now on Fortnite, so you can hop in and try out the new Sneaky Snowman!

  • First look at Fortnite’s amazing new Chiller Grenade – Dexerto

First look at Fortnite’s amazing new Chiller Grenade Fortnite’s V7.30 update saw the introduction of the the brand new Chiller Grenade weapon, and first glimpses at the weapon show that it could be incredibly powerful if used properly. The Chiller Grenade’s inclusion in in-game news feed. The new weapon is Common rarity and be found as floor loot or can be purchased from vending machines, coming in stacks of three with a maximum stack size of six. While many thought the Chiller Grenade would act much like the Chiller Trap which slows players down and makes it difficult to move, Epic Games went for a different approach with this weapon. The Chiller Grenade will add blocks of ice to enemy players feet and then knock them back, making it incredibly difficult for them to control their movements or defend themselves, as they are unable to stop and build or aim their weapon – and could become extremely dangerous during high elevation build battles. The weapon has already been used to great effect by Twitch streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman, who used the Chiller Grenade to blast an opponent into the storm, with the enemy player unable to gain control of their feet before the storm eliminated them. Leakers have also been working hard searching through the update files for upcoming events and items, leaking cosmetics and what appears to be the final in-game event of Season 7.

  • First look at Fortnite’s new Harpoon Gun – Dexerto

First look at Fortnite’s new Harpoon Gun Fortnite Battle Royale players might be surprised to know that a brand new Harpoon Gun has been added to the game, and it’s very different from anything we’ve seen before. Epic Games appear to have adopted a new strategy since the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 on October 15, with patch notes seemingly a thing of the past. Despite details proving to be pretty scarce about changes for the new game’s first season so far, that hasn’t stopped the developers from sticking to their weekly content schedule, with a new update being rolled out on Tuesday, November 5. Part of that new update is a brand new Harpoon Gun, which not only can be used to attack other players – dealing 75 damage per hit – but can drag enemies closer towards you as well. It was previously leaked by data miners. As seen in the clip below from ErycTriceps, a Twitch streamer, a main function of the item is to grab enemies while attacking them at the same time. It’s a short range weapon but as the video shows, you’re not going to need to be point-blank to use it well, should you have good aim. At first glance it might look like another Grappler, a weapon that was sent to the vault with the 7.20 patch back in January after a number of terrible exploits were discovered by players using it. Just like its predecessor, the Harpoon gives ten shots, but the new Harpoon can’t be used to travel around the map. Quite the opposite, actually, pulling things nearer to you – and not just players. One Twitter user has discovered that it can be used for fishing as well. This is so broken lmaooo Fishing with the Harpoon Gun! #Fortnite — For The Fans (@FortniteFansBR) November 5, 2019 We don’t really know what its capabilities are supposed to be. Instead, just reporting on what we can see so far. In the meantime, without any patch notes, players will just have to figure out what’s good and bad about it by themselves. All we know is that it can deal damage and latch onto opponents, at the time of writing.

  • First Look at Fortnite Mobile Gameplay on Android on the Samsung Galaxy S9+ – Dexerto

First Look at Fortnite Mobile Gameplay on Android on the Samsung Galaxy S9+ XDA DevelopersThe Fortnite community has been given its first look at mobile gameplay of the game on the Android operating system. Although the launch date of Fortnite Mobile on Android has not yet been formally announced, players can now see how the game will look on an Android device, thanks to tech news outlet ‘XDA Developers.‘ Data miners at XDA Developers were able to gain access to Fortnite Android and bypass the game’s authentication requirements, allowing them to post a video of live gameplay on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ device. The video below shows gameplay using the best possible in-game settings, called ‘Epic Settings,’ and has even been more fine-tuned thanks to the Samsung Game Tuner. Samsung is expecting to launch their newest device, the Galaxy Note 9, on August 9 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. They have partnered up with Epic Games ahead of the launch, which has sparked rumors that the Android version of Fortnite Mobile will available exclusively on the Note 9 for the first 30 days, and possibly even the first three months. Read More: Fortnite Players Who Use Keyboard and Mouse on Console Will Soon Start Matching Up Against Each Other – Those who do pre-order the Note 9 will receive 15,000 V-Bucks, and possibly even the recently leaked ‘Galaxy’ skin, which many believe will also be exclusive to Note 9 users. Once Fortnite Mobile does launch on Android, it will not be available through the Google Play store, as Epic have announced that the game will be distributing to users via its own installer.

  • First in-game footage of new Port-a-Fortress in Fortnite – Dexerto

First in-game footage of new Port-a-Fortress in Fortnite The newest item addition to Fortnite in the v5.41 update is the ‘Port-a-Fortress’ – a much improved version of the classic Port-a-Fort – which now gives you a complete castle like build in seconds. The Port-a-Fort itself was originally a pretty contentious addition, as some players thought that it would take away from the skill needed to build effectively, a basic component of Fortnite. But it has now been in play for months, and those initial concerns have died down. This new Port-a-Fortress however, really takes it to a new level. Here is some of the earlier footage of it in action, thanks to u/TheOspo. Although the response hasn’t been as negative as when fans first saw the original Port-a-Fort, some players are still concerned about the power of the new Port-a-Fortress. One player comments “it gets built instantly unlike the normal P-a-F, which makes it harder to destroy”, while others commented on how frequently it is used in the 50v50 game mode, providing instant cover and high ground advantage for lots of enemies. The issue with it being ‘built’ instantly is that each of the walls is at 100% structural integrity. Typically, when a metal wall is placed, it takes a few seconds for the wall to fully complete it’s build once placed, and in those seconds it can be destroyed more quickly by bullets. More: What changed in the latest Fortnite update? V5.41 patch notes, Port-a-Fortress, Spiky Stadium and more! – As another Reddit user points out, the build itself uses the materials equivalent to 1090 metal, which is more than it is possible for a single player to carry in their inventory plus twelve bounce pads. To counter the effectiveness of the Port-a-Fortress, Epic will have likely made the spawn rate pretty low, so they should be pretty rare.

  • Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration revealed – Dexerto

It also comes after the release of Disney+, a new streaming service which is currently hosting the Star Wars movies in the United States. While the two might not be linked, it’s hard to believe that both of these releasing at the same time is a coincidence. It’s unclear as to when the Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration will go live, but it’s likely to be in the coming days. Usually, once data miners start surfacing information on such events, Epic Games usually goes about releasing more information quickly afterward. We will keep you updated with all the latest news on the Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration as it comes live.

  • First in-game footage of Fortnite’s new Spiky Stadium – Dexerto

First in-game footage of Fortnite’s new Spiky Stadium The first videos of Fortnite’s all-new ‘Spiky Stadium’ item in action have started to surface online and it looks amazing. The Limited Time Item is an exciting addition to the game that is available exclusively in the Playground mode and creates a pop-up sports stadium when activated. The spiky Stadium is found with a large number of Impulse Grenades, is 7×11 in size and is full of Damage Traps and Bouncers as can be seen in the video below. The Spiky Stadium was released as part of the V5.41 patch on September 18. Epic Games explained that they are “inspired by the amazing things you’ve been making within Playground,” and “cannot wait to see what you create as we continue to build out the future of creative mode in Fortnite.” Read More: Leaked Skins and Cosmetics found in Fortnite’s V5.41 files – Names, rarities and descriptions – The stadium should provide players and creators with an excellent starting point for new mini games and competitions within the Playground mode, as postboxpat on YouTube explained: The Playground mode has been one of the most popular additions to Fortnite since the game’s release as it allows players to challenge each other to 1 vs 1 showdowns, build incredible structures and invent mini games to keep each other entertained without the competitive edge of the standard battle royale mode. The Spiky Stadium wasn’t the only item to be introduced in the V5.41 patch – the new ‘Port-a-Fortress’, which is a Legendary version of the Port-a-Fort was also added to the game. The update files have also been raked through by data miners and a number of new skins and cosmetic items have been leaked online.

  • First Fortnite Season 6 teaser hints at Zero Crisis finale, wolf leaks – Dexerto

First Fortnite Season 6 teaser hints at Zero Crisis finale, wolf leaks Epic GamesA new Fortnite Season 6 teaser from Epic Games hinted at the already announced Zero Crisis Finale event, but also included some images related to previous leaks that wolves will be coming to the battle royale next season. On March 9, Epic Games released a detailed blog post confirming the end date for the game’s current season, explaining their new single-player Zero Point Crisis event, and when Season 6 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will kick off: March 16. The hype for Season 6 has been steadily building since that information was revealed, and Xbox fueled more speculation on next season’s content when they accidentally leaked an image tied to the new season. Epic sparked more excitement when they released a short teaser video via the official Fortnite Twitter account. While it did reference the Zero Point (and the upcoming Season 6 event), it also teased images tied to leaks from last year that revealed wolves might be coming to Fortnite in Season 6. Epic’s tweet — captioned “He’s given everything to the Order… and for what?” — was mainly focused around the brief thirty-second teaser video. In the clip, Agent Jonesy (a character heavily involved in the current story arc) issued a warning to players. Read More: Fortnite pro falls asleep during tournament – “We’ve lost control of the Zero Point, do you get what that means?” Jonesy asked. The character also hinted at what Epic’s “explosive” solo event kicking off Season 6 might include, and revealed it could involve “watching Reality end.” He’s given everything to the Order… and for what? 3.16.2021. #FortniteSeason6 pic.twitter.com/vP0tZytkaU — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) March 13, 2021 Jonesy’s warnings certainly seemed to indicate the Zero Point Crisis event will have some huge implications for the in-game universe and potentially its map as well — something Epic constantly updates, particularly around the start of a new season. In addition to the lines from Jonesy, the video also included several images that could be tied to Season 6, in particular some pictures of teeth, fur, and eyes that appear to belong to a wolf, or wolves. So.. about this tweet. Take a closer look at the new teaser. 🙂 https://t.co/6GjVjuOBo9 — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) March 13, 2021 These images tie in with leaks about Season 6 that were shared during Season 5. Well-known Fortnite leaker ‘ShiinaBR’ revealed in December 2020 that “wolves will be added to the game later this season.” While the animals did not make an appearance during that season, they could be coming to the BR in Season 6. The teaser also included two displays of the number 10 (which some fans are taking as a hint that soccer superstar Neymar could be involved in the new season), along with what could potentially be a new weapon in the form of a bow or slingshot. With Chapter 2 Season 6 scheduled to release on March 16, Epic will likely continue to fuel the hype train as the community’s anticipation builds. Fans should make sure they are prepared for the Zero Crisis Finale, and we will keep you updated on any new Season 6 information as it’s revealed.

  • First Fortnite Season 6 teaser leaked by Xbox – Dexerto

First Fortnite Season 6 teaser leaked by Xbox Epic GamesXbox has accidentally revealed a brand-new teaser for Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 2 Season 6, making it technically the one of the first real teasers for the season – but unfortunately, it doesn’t bring too many hints as to what might be coming to the game in the future. If you’re one of the many Fortnite fans who has been craving for any info relating to the upcoming Season 6, then there’s some good news in store for you, although it might not be exactly what you’re expecting. With Season 6 right around the corner, Xbox has apparently accidentally revealed a teaser for it. While that is good news, and it’s sure to excite fans based on that information alone, some players might be a bit disappointed. Unfortunately, the teaser doesn’t give us too much to go on. It features the iconic battle bus with a red, yellow, and white background. While the battle bus appears to be the exact same one that’s been in the game since it launched, the color scheme is the most interesting thing about the image – but even that is very little to go on. The teaser doesn’t give us any hints about who might be featured in the upcoming season, what the theme will be, or how it even relates to the current Zero Point storyline going on right now in the game. We do know, however, that the upcoming Fortnite x Batman comic books will somehow relate to the game, with some people in the community even being hopeful for a full DC-themed season (although nothing has been announced as of the time of this writing). Regardless, players won’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on with it, as Chapter 2 Season 6 is set to launch on March 16, 2021. Rather than having a season-ending in-game event like most of the other Seasons in the game, fans will be able to play through a single-player experience at the start of Season 6, which will conclude Season 5’s storyline and introduce the new one. Of course, as time goes on, we should get some more official teasers from Epic that give us more information than this one. Until then, stay tuned to Dexerto for more updates as the current season unfolds to its end.

  • First Fortnite Season 4 teaser revealed as rift appears in-game – Dexerto

First Fortnite Season 4 teaser revealed as rift appears in-game Epic GamesDevelopers Epic Games have revealed the first official look at Fortnite Chapter 2’s fourth season. In addition to a new teaser on social media, a rift has opened up in-game. Fortnite fans have become entirely accustomed to the game’s biggest updates coming with the inception of new seasons, and Season 4 of Chapter 2 is no different. Details have been scarce, but leaked images and in-game teasers suggested that another Marvel crossover was in the works. That proved true with Epic’s first official reveal released on August 21, confirming that a Marvel crossover with Thor at the center will be coming to Fortnite. Despite the fact that Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal has launched the character into popular culture, the Fortnite Season 4 version looks more inspired by how the Norse God appears in the comic books. On August 22, a follow-up teaser was released. What’s also unclear (for now, at least) is the caption that accompanied the teaser. It reads: “The Herald has found The Island. The prelude to War has begun. Experience Part 1 in-game now…” The ‘Herald’, many assumed, refers to Thor. He is also known as the “Herald of Thunder’ in the Marvel universe. What kind of war is being referred to though, is not yet clear. The Herald has found The Island. The prelude to War has begun. Experience Part 1 in-game now…#FortniteSeason4 8.27.2020 pic.twitter.com/Pl14rHYjGq — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) August 22, 2020 Another change is that in-game, a large rift has opened up above the map. This is not the first time Fortnite has used rifts or other dimensions to introduce new Seasons, but it appears that Thor and Galactus will be making their way to the existing map, rather than the existing characters departing their current location. Popular leaker ShiinaBR also pointed out that another page in the comic book that originally leaked Thor is now available to view in-game. Comic In-Game view including another comic page that hasn’t been leaked yet! pic.twitter.com/IGoHUlBOhZ — ShiinaBR – Fortnite Leaks (@ShiinaBR) August 22, 2020 While other characters have not yet been confirmed, past leaks have indicated that both Galactus and Thor will be making their way to Fortnite, alongside Asgard’s infamous Rainbow Bridge. Check my previous tweets for more context.. pic.twitter.com/J9UCf9JCjQ — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 6, 2020 It has been proven once again that Epic love to tease the Fortnite fan-base over major changes the game will experience. For now, though, details remain in short supply, but keep your eyes peeled for in-game hints.

  • Fortnite Wilds: Battle Pass & map teasers for Chapter 4 Season 3 – Dexerto

Fortnite Wilds: Battle Pass & map teasers for Chapter 4 Season 3 Epic GamesThe official Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 3 teasers have arrived, and they confirm that the Island will soon be transformed into a jungle, turning Mega into Wilds. Also, the cosmetic items available in the Battle Pass have been unveiled. Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming season. With the current Fortnite season scheduled to come to a close on June 9, Epic Games have finally begun teasing what fans can expect from the popular battle royale when Chapter 4: Season 3 arrives. If you head on over to the official Fortnite Twitter page, you’ll see that their profile picture and header image have both been taken over by crawling vines and various greenery. Alternatively, we’ve taken a screenshot of their Twitter page which you can see below. Fortnite Wilds teasers reveal Jungle theme and Battle Pass skins In a nod to the previous season, “Mega,” “Wilds” has been chosen as the name for Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 4: Season 3. The title verifies the ongoing speculation that it will feature a Jungle theme. Epic Games has recently released a bunch of teasers for Season 3, showing the continuous Earthquake that is breaking the island up and revealing a Jungle underneath. The preview also featured many easter eggs for players to find, such as a Temple POI, Tree Vines (which are ought to replace the Grind Rails), the upcoming map and return of Tents. However, the most exciting part of the recent teases was the reveal of upcoming Wildlife-themed Battle Pass skins. Era, Trace, Rian, and Lorenzo are the names of the character skins that Fortnite has hinted towards. There is a small detail or an item associated with each character that players will be able to obtain in the upcoming season. Additionally, the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been announced to coincide with the inclusion of an Optimus Prime skin in the Battle Pass. Recently, Fortnite tweeted another teaser that confirmed the arrival Optimus Prime skin as a Level 100 Battle Pass skin in the next season. Additionally, Mariposa, Relik and Purradise Meowscles skins were also teased to be included in the Battle Pass. The current season is scheduled to end on June 9, 2023, so additional teasers are likely to arrive in the coming days.

  • First Fortnite Season 2 teaser spotted worldwide with secret message – Dexerto

First Fortnite Season 2 teaser spotted worldwide with secret message Twitter: FlakespowerEpic Games is ramping up excitement for the next season of Fortnite Chapter 2, using public advertisements to tease fans with a mysterious message. Season 2 of Chapter 2 is set to begin on Thursday, February 20, after a delay, making the first season the longest ever in Fortnite Battle Royale’s two-year history. So far, little is known about what players can expect, but new seasons are typically when the most sweeping changes are made. A new advert has been showing up in cities worldwide, containing a secret message, and it seems to be our first clue. New Fortnite teaser These ads were spotted in various places around the world including Brazil, Japan, and France, and play a short animation. A gold handprint is seen on top of the Fortnite logo, and gold bars cover up text at the bottom. However, a phone number is left visible. Of course, fans instantly decided to call the number, which is where things start to get interesting. This poster from Shibuya, in Tokyo, explained, “there are quite a few 15 seconds of footage of the Fortnite logo in the vision of Shibuya city. And without sound. Just branding?” 渋谷の街のビジョンでフォートナイトのロゴだけの15秒映像が結構出てるんですが。しかも音無しで。はて? 単なるブランディング?#フォートナイト #fortnite #渋谷 #shibuya #謎 pic.twitter.com/IFx70UYuWV— bgmasuo (@bgmasuo) February 10, 2020 Secret message in Fortnite Season 2 teaser When the number is called, a peculiar message is played back. The response on the other end says: “Yes sir. The agents were called. Card to access the safe purchased.” In the past few hours, several teasers for Season 2 have been found worldwide! Some of them even have a phone number attached. 🔥 A voice will tell you this when you call it: – “”Yes sir”” – “”The agents were called”” – “”Card to access the safe purchased””https://t.co/0mK5vnUVTI— Shiina (@ShiinaBR) February 16, 2020 So what does it all mean? There has been speculation that the theme for Season 2 will have something to do with gold, and possibly King Midas from Greek mythology (who turns things to gold by touching them). The gold bars and gold handprint on the teaser could be another clue for this. It’s possible that gold will be a fourth material added to Fortnite (adding to wood, metal, and brick), and would be indestructible. Obviously, players have some concerns about the gameplay implications of this. Epic Games changed their Twitter header to the golden handprint and their profile picture is now in gold as well. With Season 2 beginning in presumably just a matter of days, we’re sure to be learning a lot more really fast. In fact, the original tease for the new season covered up text with gold bars, but now it’s possible we were meant to take that literally as gold bars are coming to Fortnite. This is just the first teaser for Season 2 though, and there’s likely to be more. The last time Epic Games did something this extravagant for the launch of a new season was for Season 5. A real-life Durr Burgher was placed in the middle of nowhere, as the community tried to work it all out.

  • First Fortnite Chapter 2 holiday event decorations discovered in-game – Dexerto

First Fortnite Chapter 2 holiday event decorations discovered in-game The first decorations for Fortnite’s Holiday event have begun landing on the battle royale island – and more will be on the way. One of the major ways that Epic Games has been able to have the success they’ve had with Fortnite is the ability to keep the battle royale title topically. While it has it’s own in-game seasons, real-life events are taken into account and delivered in the form of skins, challenges, or even full-blown parts of the map. We’ve already seen Fortnite deliver it’s first long holiday-themed event back in season seven, and with Chapter 2 in full swing, the winter period is coming back to the battle royale island. German Fortnite content creator Hey Stan noted that shipment of Christmas decorations had arrived at Dirty Docks back on November 21. “The Christmas delivery is there in Dirty Docks,” he tweeted. Hidden inside some of the containers are Christmas trees already dressed in lights, while others have small wooden carvings that have lightbulbs on as well. Of course, these are harvestable for wood so if you don’t find them at Dirty Docks quickly, you may lose out on seeing them. Die Weihnachts Lieferung ist da 😀 in Dirty Docks wird das Weihnachts Equipment grade geliefert. pic.twitter.com/GycfOYGwAM — Hey Stan (@HeyStani) November 21, 2019 While season seven had the map, at one point, covered in snow, it could be a different story in terms of Chapter 2. As of writing, there haven’t been any hints about a possible weather change to snow, however, we could be getting some fog at the very least. Reddit user Romulousvoid noted in the FortniteBR subreddit that using epic setting in replay mode would show a bit of fog. However, some fans stated that it could have just been an error. “Don’t they use fog in Sneaky Silencers LTM? Could be a bug,” asked ShortSonic01. We know that the first season of Fortnite Chapter 2 will be extended for the holiday period and there will also be a live event with new content rolled out – likely similar to 14 Days of Fortnite. However, it remains to be seen as to what else the developers have in store for fans across the end of December.

  • First footage of new Quad Launcher in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

First footage of new Quad Launcher in Fortnite Battle Royale The latest update for Fortnite, v6.02, was headlined by the addition of the Quad Launcher, which does pretty much what it says on the tin, firing four rockets in quick succession. There are concerns from some players that there are too many explosive weapons and items now, and that another wasn’t needed, but there is a possibility that another item could be ‘vaulted’ to make way. The Quad Launcher was actually already in Fortnite, but only available in the Save the World mode, not Battle Royale, and so it was only a matter of time before it was added to the more popular of the two modes. Epic has already released footage of what the Quad Launcher will look like in game, along with the basic information about the weapon. Like many ‘Epic’ and ‘Legendary’ rarity items, you will only be able to find the Quad Launcher in supply drops, chests and vending machines. Fire up to four lobbed rockets in quick succession. – Available in Epic and Legendary variants. 80/84 base damage per rocket. – 300 unit explosion radius. – – Can be found in chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines. – Also, for those worried that there are now too many explosive weapons, Epic has actually increased the drop rates of numerous other explosive weapons, only decreasing the Rare Rocket Launcher. Decreased Rare Grenade Launcher drop chance from 1.45% to 0.99% – Increased Epic Rocket Launcher drop chance from 0.59% to 0.66% – Increased Legendary Rocket Launcher drop chance from 0.08% to 0.21% – Increased Epic Guided Missile drop chance from 0.11% to 0.2% – Increased Legendary Guided Missile drop chance from 0.03% to 0.05% – More: New ‘Bone Chilling Gear’ coming soon to Fortnite, possibly including the rare ‘Skull Trooper’ skin – It’s not clear why this has been done, but it is clear that Epic Games doesn’t agree with fans saying there are too many explosive weapons in play. With an almost doubling of the drop rate for the Legendary Rocket Launcher and the Epic Guided Missile, this new Quad Launcher might not be the only launcher you see being used frequently.

  • First Footage of the Fortnite Suppressed Assault Rifle – Dexerto

First Footage of the Fortnite Suppressed Assault Rifle The most significant addition to Fortnite in the v5.40 update was the long awaited suppressed AR, and the first footage of the new gun in action is now available. Fans of Fortnite have been hopeful to see a suppressed assault rifle in the battle royale mode for some time, with all AR’s so far being loud and attracting plenty of attention. The new weapon takes the traditional Rare and Legendary ‘Scar’ assault rifle and adds a suppressor, but it’s performance is slightly different than the unsuppressed variant. The official description of the weapon states that it “rewards precision over rapid-fire” and this certainly seems to be the case. With such powerful shots, the weapon deals a lot of damage, but it’s recoil can become unmanageable if you simply hold and spray it. YouTuber MonsterDFace gave his first thoughts on the new gun. This video, courtesy of u/Karsteski, shows a side by side comparison of the new weapon vs it’s unsuppressed equivalent, to give you a feel of what you might prefer. According to some reports, the mew suppressed AR has better ‘first shot accuracy’ but loses accuracy faster with continued firing. Here’s another shot of the new weapon, being picked up in Tilted and used to take out some nearby walls. More: Fortnite V5.40 Content Update Patch Notes – All-New Suppressed Assault Rifle Added, Drum Gun Vaulted – So, like the description states, firing with precision and steady shots will be best for this new rifle. And of course, up close, you will still want to use an SMG or Shotgun.

  • First Footage of Fortnite’s New Submachine Gun in Action – Dexerto

First Footage of Fortnite’s New Submachine Gun in Action The first footage Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Submachine Gun is beginning to appear online but players still aren’t sure how it stacks up against its competitors. The Submachine Gun was added on July 17th as part of the V5.0 Content Update, replacing the Tactical SMG which has now been sent to the vault. The new weapon comes in Common, Uncommon and Rare variants, dealing 19-21 base damage based on the rarity and slightly more damage per second than the Tactical SMG. The first footage of Submachine Gun gameplay seems to show that it is almost identical to the Tactical SMG in terms of usefulness, but slightly stronger in close range fights and weaker as the range increases. Although the Tactical SMG is now in the vault, there is nothing to suggest that it could not return in the future, perhaps even with a slight buff or change to its intended use Epic Games has been putting more emphasis on weapon balance over recent months, regularly implementing small nerfs or buffs for various weapons as they try to find a balance that suits everyone and allows different styles of gameplay. The SMG class of weapons is one of most underused in Fortnite Battle Royale and Epic has been attempting to make it a more viable one ever since. However, the early feedback about the Submachine Gun seems to suggest that it will still not be seen as a viable alternative to a shotgun in close range gunfights.

  • First creepy teaser for Fortnite X IT: Chapter Two appears in-game – Dexerto

First creepy teaser for Fortnite X IT: Chapter Two appears in-game WB Studios / Epic GamesThe first in-game teasers for v10.20 Update, when files that showed a balloon, alongside various audio clips, were discovered hidden inside the patch. Now, the items have finally made it into the game, and are already providing some creepy clues as to what we can expect going forward. A red balloon is one of the trademark props from the IT franchise, which Pennywise the Dancing Clown uses to lure his victims to their demise. In the leaked files it was labeled as pink, perhaps in an attempt to misdirect players, but it has taken on its scarlet hue now that it can be found in Pleasant Park. Once you pop the balloon, the signature laugh of Pennywise can be heard echoing out of the grating, much like in the movies, implying that he may be hiding just underneath the popular Fortnite location, biding his time. You’ll float too. :balloon: :camera_with_flash: @LootLakeBR pic.twitter.com/BwWm1ox211 — Fortnite News (@FortniteBR) September 4, 2019 What the collaboration will have in store for fans of the popular battle royale game going forward remains to be seen, but it’s unlikely that we have heard the last of Pennywise in Fortnite. With previous movie-themed events like with John Wick, the game has released special challenges that reward players with cosmetic items based off the film, or have added special Limited-Time Modes, as they did with the Avengers franchise ahead of Endgame. IT: Chapter Two releases on Friday, September 6, so we can expect to see the next stage of the creepy event unfold in the near future.

  • First Footage of Fortnite’s Drum Gun in Action Makes the New Weapon Look Incredibly Deadly – Dexerto

First Footage of Fortnite’s Drum Gun in Action Makes the New Weapon Look Incredibly Deadly The all-new Drum Gun has officially been added to Fortnite Battle Royale and early footage of it in action suggests that it could be one of the best weapons in the game. The Drum Gun looks very similar to the famous Thompson submachine gun (Tommy gun) that is typically associated with the prohibition era and WWII. Much like its real world counterpart, the Drum Gun in Fortnite aims to be versatile and combine “the stopping power of a rifle with the suppressive ability and fire rate of an SMG.” While the description of the weapon certainly makes it sound like a useful tool, it is always hard to predict how a new gun will perform until it’s live and in the hands of the player base. If the first clips are anything to go by, though, it looks like we could have a new contender for one of the best weapons in the game. Reddit user arends33 shared some footage from his first game with the gun which shows it shredding opponents even when when he is running and firing from the hip: Arends33 isn’t the only person to have found such success with the new gun. Twitter user @JNGamingx also used the SMG/AR hybrid to get himself out of a sticky situation and numerous other community members are reporting similar results. It will be interesting to see what the Drum Gun can do in the hands of the world’s best players but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a small nerf implemented if these early signs are anything to by. • First clues leaked about next Fortnite in-game event for Season 8 – Dexerto

First clues leaked about next Fortnite in-game event for Season 8 Following the v8.40 update on April 17, a number of clues were spotted on the Fortnite map, and in the game files, that look to be pointing towards another in-game event, which will perhaps conclude Season 8. As with previous season ending (or season starting) events, Fortnite will no doubt want to send Season 8 out with a bang, and these latest additions look like Epic Games are gearing up for something big. To start, a large, mysterious ‘hatch’ was placed at the center of Loot Lake following the update, although its purpose is currently unknown. Gateway Hatch confuses Fortnite players Data miners later found that the name of this mysterious new discovery at the center of the lake is in fact called the ‘Gateway Hatch’. What this is a Gateway to, or from, however, is unclear. A mesh showing the underside of the hatch, found by leaker @lucas7yoshi_, perhaps gives a better idea as to its purpose. Sleepy, Leaky and Snow event sound files Three sound files were also discovered by data miners, added in the v8.40 update, each with a unique ‘event’ name: Sleepy, Leaky, and Snow. Unfortunately, other than these sound files, these ‘events’ are also a complete mystery. The sounds themselves do give some indication, but it’s not enough to make any predictions at this stage. This event is related to The Leaky event too Aka The cube, pic.twitter.com/Ph0IB6MwwZ — HYPEX (@HYPEX) April 17, 2019 Id why they named it SNOW, probably so we don’t notice but i did lol Listen till the end! :fire::fire: so many events files pic.twitter.com/EVceCD5IhX— HYPEX (@HYPEX) April 17, 2019 All of this appears to be pointing at a major event on the way to bring Season 8 to a crescendo, but Epic Games will be keeping exact details under wraps (as much as they can given all the leaking) until they are ready to reveal more. Season 8 is expected to end on May 8, so there’s still plenty of time for Epic to start planting the seeds in the lead up to the big event.

This turned out to be a huge plus for the Ghost players, who actually lost the first series, despite the fact that Issa had a memorable performance in the second map that almost gave them the come-from-behind win. However, both Ghost players were eliminated halfway through the second map, giving MrSavage and Benjyfishy a great opportunity to come back and steal the match. The match that most will likely consider to be the best of the tournament was the Losers Bracket Final between the eventual champions MrSavage and Benjyfishy squaring off against Ninja and Reverse 2k. The match ended up going all the way to a third map, thanks to Ninja’s incredibly clutch series of kills to tie the score at the very end of map two. “”HE IS NOT HUMAN!””@Ninja just went HUGE! pic.twitter.com/O9QtswgtNK — UMG Gaming (@UMGGaming) June 1, 2019 How Friday Fortnite works Friday Fortnite is a double-elimination tournament that use the popular ‘total of two’ and ‘bot race’ formats. In each round, the teams that get matched up queue into a public Squads lobby together, where they try to get as many eliminations as possible. After two Squads matches, the team with the most combined eliminations gets to advance, while a third match if played if the two teams end up tied.

  • Leaked Fortnite Season 10 loading screens tease new map – Dexerto

Leaked Fortnite Season 10 loading screens tease new map Twitter: ShiinaBRThe final two loading screens of Fortnite Season X have leaked ahead of the v10.40 update, dropping further hints that a new map might be in the works. With Fortnite Season X quickly drawing to a close, fan theories and speculation have been running wild over what’s going to happen once it is all over. Some fans believe that the current map will revert to an older form, with others hoping to see an all-new backdrop altogether. Those hoping to see a new map got a slight boost when 13 names for points of interest were leaked. Yet, the theories around a new setting appear to have gotten their biggest boost yet as the loading screens for weeks nine and ten have been revealed ahead of the v10.40 update in a major leak. The final two images for the season x loading screens were revealed by popular leaker ShiinaBR on September 22 as a huge number of cosmetics were leaked ahead of the v10.40 update. The first of the two images shows two characters sat outside a factory that has ‘Welcome to the Combine’ scrawled on a wall, with other skins entering the glowing door. In the surrounding darkness, it appears as if the background has descended into chaos with trash being left on either side and walls being filled with graffiti. It’s the second screenshot that has piqued the interest of fans, though, as players appear to be waving goodbye to the classic battle bus as it heads into the sunset. The leaked loading screen also comes with the description of ”Last stop, Thank you, Bus driver!” – further suggesting that change is afoot in some manner. Many fans on social media have speculated that this could very well be the bus dropping players off at a new island and heading off – giving way to a revamped map and new battle bus. Others, however, have gone with a simpler approach, suggesting that it could just signal the end of the current bus driver and there will be a new method to drop into matches come Season 11. What it all eventually leads to, though, remains to be seen as the anticipation grows for the end of season event that revolves around The Visitor’s rocket launching from Dusty Depot.

  • Final Fortnitemares teaser confirms Fortnite’s Halloween event start date, completes cryptic poem – Dexerto

Final Fortnitemares teaser confirms Fortnite’s Halloween event start date, completes cryptic poem The fourth and final teaser for the upcoming Fortnitemares event in Fortnite has been released, confirming the date that the event begins, but don’t get your hopes up if you think it’s going to reveal a great deal more. The teasers have been released on a daily basis since October 20 and some fans were convinced that the images were fitting together to make a larger picture, but number four is nothing more than the words ‘Fortnitemares Tomorrow!’ on a purple background, so it looks like that idea can be disregarded now. On the other hand, another four verses of poetry have been included in the image caption so, if all of the stanzas are in chronological order, the entire poem should now be complete. The latest addition to the aforementioned poem reads: “The crack of lightning Illuminates your wins Arise, dark ones- The fight begins.” The crack of lightning Illuminates your wins Arise, dark ones- The fight begins. #Fortnitemares pic.twitter.com/bWMovCBSar— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) October 23, 2018 While most of the information about the Fortnitemares event is currently unconfirmed, we know the start date is on October 24 and a leak on PlayStation from October 22 seems to show that it will run all the way through to November 26, so expect something pretty substantial! The event ‘rewards’ section in that same leak also stated that “Spooky rewards await those who complete the new Fortnitemare Challenges.” Stay tuned for more information about the exciting new event as it becomes available. For the time being, we’ll leave you with what we assume is the completed Fortnitemares poem: Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. They could be friendly, Or a ghoul in disguise. Tombstones quake, Keep you fingers steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. Take the shot, If you have enough to last. The wind calls out, “Fill your chambers, fast.” The crack of lightning Illuminates your wins Arise, dark ones- The fight begins.

Final Fight LTM Disabled in Fortnite as 50v50 Returns With A Twist – More Resources, Dual Pistols and Bounce Pads Epic Games has disabled the new ‘Final Fight’ limited time mode in Fortnite Battle Royale after acknowledging fan feedback and that the mode hadn’t been executed quite how they imagined. Final Fight introduced a teams of 12, with slightly different gameplay rules than the standard modes and most significantly a different storm system. The team that had the most players still alive at the end of a set timer would win the match, instead of the storm continually shrinking inwards and eventually wiping out the entire map. The mode came as part of the v4.5 update, which also introduced the Playground LTM which was also disabled soon after being implemented. • Final Fortnite Season 10 teaser hints at major map changes – Dexerto

Final Fortnite Season 10 teaser hints at major map changes Epic Games have dropped the fourth and final teaser for Fortnite Season 10, which appears to hint at some major map changes. Fortnite Season 10 officially kicks off on Thursday, August 1, and is set to usher in a host of changes and updates to the game that developers Epic will hope keep players entrhalled in their popular battle royale title. Epic Games have already dropped three teasers, the first showing the classic Dusty Depot location which was destroyed by a meteor, the second an image of The Visitor character, and the third seemingly hinting at some sort of time travel narrative with a caption which simply states: “Twist Time.” The fourth and final teaser shows the current state of Loot Lake, which has a giant orb floating above it that has been pulsing for days. In the video, the ball can be seen exploding, with a masive burst of light shooting high into the sky, as it finally detonates, and sends a Jonesy flying across the map. The clip could hint at the possible destruction of the map as we know it, however that has yet to be confirmed. The tweet that was released alongside the image includes the caption: “Zero In,” another cryptic clue that provides little insight into what could take place. The orb originally appeared during the game’s Cattus vs Doggus event, and with the giant creature’s skeleton and the huge sword still laying on the island, it could be possible that they are also involved in the next epic twist of Fortnite’s overarching storyline. It’s still not entirely clear what Epic Games have in store for fans when they release the game’s tenth season on August 1, but excitement is already growing at the possibility of a return of fan-favorite locations and likely some entirely new points-of-interest. Fans have speculated that the island could be hurtling through space and time back to it’s original design, with the return of the classic locations like the depots, Moisty Mire and Tomato Town, while others think we’ll head to the future entirely and the whole map could take on a futuristic vibe like Neo Tilted and Mega Mall. Whatever happens, it’s sure to shake things up when the v10 update for the mega-popular battle royale game releases tomorrow!

  • FaZe Tfue reacts to claims he only blew up for killing Ninja on Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue reacts to claims he only blew up for killing Ninja on Fortnite Tfue, YouTube/Ninja, TwitchFaZe Tfue has shot down the idea that he only blew up because he killed Ninja on Fortnite and if you believe that, he thinks you’re “actually stupid.” In a defensive rant during a Twitch livestream yesterday, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney seemed bemused by the suggestion that his success on the streaming platform was down to one solitary kill – as people had suggested in the chat. “Dude, if you think that i blew up because I killed Ninja, you’re fucking actually stupid,” He said. “How does it even make any sense at all? People fucking kill Ninja a hundred times a stream, they kill me a hundred times a stream. Ninja became the face of Fortnite and Twitch in 2018. “All of the streamers that kill us, the majority of them, don’t have a lot of viewers and they’re not going to gain a shit tonne of viewers because of that. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s literally dumb.” As he calmed down towards the end of the clip, he said that only ‘dumb’ people think that it’s possible to kill one big streamer and get more viewers, and that those people can ‘suck his ass’. Tenney teased a hiatus from Fortnite earlier this month, having grown frustrated with the game’s Solo mode. He has been directing his anger towards a lack of a skill gap within the game mode as well as the strength of the RNG (Random Number Generator). Conversely, Ninja recently voiced his frustrations with players like Tfue for constantly complaining about a game that is making them so much money, which could be a reason the question came up in the stream.

  • FBI arrests man luring boys for sexual acts on Fortnite – Dexerto

FBI arrests man luring boys for sexual acts on Fortnite Epic Games, Scioto County Sheriff’s OfficeAn Ohio-based man named Nicholas Ranieri has been arrested by the FBI after reportedly buying young players games and gaming items in return for sexual acts through Zoom. Despite Fortnite arguably peaking between 2017-2019, when it first launched, the Battle Royale has still proven to be one of the most popular games over the years. The game lets players compete and play with the other 300 million users across the globe. Due to the large number of players, you never know who your next opponent will be, which can be both exciting and intimidating. In August 2023, Twitch banned Fortnite streamer HydraSZN after he made some questionable jokes about being a predator while playing the game. Now, the FBI has revealed they arrested a 27-year-old player from Minford, Ohio after he reportedly offered young players to send them games and gaming items if they performed sexual acts for him. Man arrested for child pornography on young Fortnite players The Sheriff of Scioto County in Ohio said in a statement to local media that his office was contacted by the FBI, who were investigating a case involving 27-year-old Nicholas Ranieri, Scioto County Daily News reports. According to investigators, Ranieri was targeting underage males by playing Fortnite and other online games. He would reportedly offer to buy the boys games and gaming items if they performed sexual acts via Zoom, and watched him do the same. Scioto County SVU worked with the FBI to identify the out-of-state victim and then served a search warrant at Ranieri’s home, where detectives seized gaming systems, computers, and cell phones. Nicholas Ranieri was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including pandering obscenity involving a minor and disseminating material harmful to a juvenile. He is currently being held on a $125,000 bond in the Scioto County Jail. The investigation, the sheriff’s office said, is still ongoing and could result in additional charges.

  • FaZe’s Tfue killed by hacker during Fortnite Winter Royale qualifier – Dexerto

FaZe’s Tfue killed by hacker during Fortnite Winter Royale qualifier As the world’s winningest Fortnite player, Tfue was expected to breeze through qualification in the Winter Royale, a $1 million open tournament, but his attempts on the first day were marred by a hacker. Before the Winter Royale began, some players voiced concern about having an open tournament with such a huge prize pool played online, where hackers and cheats could prosper. There was also the risk that players would try to race to earn as many points as possible by deliberately being eliminated or leaving early once they had a few kills, rather than play matches out to the end. Hackers did indeed show up, even taking out FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney while he streamed to tens of thousands of viewers, and ruining an otherwise good game for Tfue’s qualification hopes. After being eliminated by the player in question, Tfue’s suspicions were raised, so he headed to the replay mode in Fortnite to confirm his doubts about the player. He watches in almost expectant disappointment as the player locks onto opponents through cover, pinpointing them through the long grass where they remained concealed. And Tfue’s frustrations didn’t end there, as later in his session he was taken out by what was almost certainly a ‘stream sniper’, “I don’t know what to do man, I’m being killed by stream snipers and hackers, that’s literally it.” Viewers suggested that he attempt qualification the next day but off stream, to avoid people hunting him down in game, by watching his POV on Twitch. Tfue was the most watched Fortnite stream on Twitch on November 24 (with top streamer Ninja playing his qualification matches off stream), so this issue of hacking will no doubt have been brought to Epic Games’ attention.

  • FaZe’s Nate Hill introduces unique Fortnite ranking system concept – Dexerto

FaZe’s Nate Hill introduces unique Fortnite ranking system concept Professional Fortnite player FaZe Nate Hill has introduced a unique ranking system idea for the popular battle royale title, as posted in a Tweet on November 17. Hill’s idea for the system takes from the sport of golf, rewarding competitive events based on their significance and holding playoffs for top competitors who perform well throughout the year. “Pro Fortnite could use a ranking system like golf,” Hill wrote. “Rewarding consistency and significance of events. Then hold playoffs like FedEx Cup for those who play well all year. Too many questionable top 10 lists out here.” Big idea :light_bulb:Pro Fortnite could use a ranking system like golf. Rewarding consistency and significance of events. Then hold playoffs like FedEx cup for those who play well all year. Too many questionable top 10 lists out here — Nate Hill (@NateHillTV) November 16, 2018 FaZe content creator Ricky Banks appeared to agree with Hill’s idea, replying to his Tweet saying, “You’re slept on big time.” While Hill’s concept addresses a need for a formal ranking system for the game, it also appears to have been made in response to the widespread Top Ten lists of Fortnite players, which have recently been making their way throughout social media. In fact, one of these lists was made by 100 Thieves’ Kenith, who jokingly placed Ryan Reynolds, Gordon Ramsay, and other celebrities and fictional characters in his Top Ten ranking players. Since everyone making top 10 fortnite players list 1. Tfue 2. Nadeshot 3. Gordon Ramsay 4. Natehill 5. Ryan Reynolds 6. Ash from pokemon 7. The dude across across the block 8. Im out of 9. Ideas 10. Parallaxative— 100T Kenith (@kenith) November 16, 2018 Although Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish series provided rankings for its ‘Clubs’, a global list of current leaders is still missing from the game – not to mention the absence of a wider competitive circuit outside of Epic’s Skirmishes, in general. While competitive Fortnite continues to develop, Hill’s idea might have introduced an important concept for both future tournaments and player rankings for the title.

  • FaZe’s Tfue Demonstrates New Fast-Farming Method in Fortnite That Works Better Than Before – Dexerto

FaZe’s Tfue Demonstrates New Fast-Farming Method in Fortnite That Works Better Than Before FaZe Clan professional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has discovered a way to improve the current fast-farming method in Fortnite. The four-time Friday Fortnite champion is known for his innovative approach to the game, often looking for new and efficient ways to get things done. The fast-farming method involves quickly activating and cancelling an emote while swinging a pickaxe to mine resources. The action increases the pace at which the pickaxe can be used, often allowing players to swing twice as fast. Read More: Muselk’s Attempt to Save Trapped Fortnite Player is One of the Greatest Stories Ever Told – While this new method also involves the use of an emote, there is a key difference in the keybindings. The result keeps the efficiency of the fast-farming while reducing other issues with button delays and reloading. “There is a new way that I fast-farm, and I wanted to share with you guys. Go to your keybinds. Do ‘locker emote one,’ so whatever emote you fast-farm with, put in on ‘mouse wheel down,’ go to ‘alternative crouch keybind’ and put in ‘mouse wheel up.’ So once you hit, scroll your mouse wheel down and then up. […] So this is way easier, and that way you don’t have to worry about emoting and reload bugs and stuff like that.” Fast Farming with scroll wheel EZ AF RT pic.twitter.com/yUnxiBqGEZ — FaZe Tfue (@TTfue) July 20, 2018 While the fast-farming method does increase resource mining efficiency, many view it as an in-game glitch that is being exploited. Although Epic Games have not explicitly stated that the use of the glitch is a bannable offense, they have made it clear that doing it is frowned upon and could ultimately lead to consequences.

  • FaZe’s Cizzorz Hits Insane, No-Scope Trick Shot with Hunting Rifle to Get Victory Royale in Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe’s Cizzorz Hits Insane, No-Scope Trick Shot with Hunting Rifle to Get Victory Royale in Fortnite It appears that some of FaZe Clan’s famous trick shooting has blended over from Call of Duty to Fortnite: Battle Royale. One of their Fortnite content creators, Jack ‘Cizzorz,’ showcased some of his talent on July 16 with an insane, game-winning kill that involved a no-scope trick shot. The popular YouTuber was playing Fortnite along with some friends when he found himself in an end-game situation in Tilted Towers with only one other player left alive. Taking a high ground position, Cizzorz would end up finding his lone opponent hiding in one of the towers, and proceeded to pull off this magnificent trick shot. This clip speaks for itself……………… LIKE/RT pic.twitter.com/72N9DSrhbZ — FaZe Cizzorz (@cizzorz) July 17, 2018 The overall setup of the kill was very clever; Cizzorz knew that using a bounce pad to propel himself off of his ledge would ensure that he would not take any fall damage should he miss his snipe. However, he did not miss. In fact, he ended up not even having to aim as his no-scope shot hit the enemy player square and true, with the new slow motion Victory Royale animation kicking in right at the end. Read More: TSM’s Daequan Really Doesn’t Like C4 in Fortnite and Has an Idea on How It Can Be Improved – Perhaps the best part of the whole clip is the group’s reaction; after hitting the shot, they almost couldn’t do or say anything except yell out in excitement at the incredible shot Cizzorz had just hit. Who can blame them? In all honesty, it was a reaction worthy of the shot.

FaZe’s Jaomock Throws Shade at NRG Esports After They Release Most of Their Pro Fortnite Roster FaZe Clan pro Fortnite player Brendan ‘Jaomock’ O’Brien has had a go at NRG Esports after they parted ways with four members of their pro Fortnite team. NRG announced on September 7 that they have released competitive Fortnite players ‘Lamar,’ ‘TheGeneral,’ ‘Vicaros,’ and ‘Kaysid’ as part of their “effort to shift [their] Fortnite approach.” After the roster changes, the only players who are still on the team are ‘Zayt’ and ‘Svenosss,’ both of whom serve as Solo competitors. KEEMSTAR Will Bring Back Friday Fortnite But On One ConditionNRG’s roster decisions have not sat well with FaZe’s Jaomock, who expressed genuine surprise at the fact that the org would release a group of players he felt were “a top 5 team.” NRG just dropped a top 5 team. Regardless, the four top-level competitive Fortnite players will likely not last in the free agent market for long as they are now free to sign with other organizations.

  • FaZe will literally be saving real llama lives by finding Fortnite ones in the World Cup – Dexerto

FaZe will literally be saving real llama lives by finding Fortnite ones in the World Cup Epic Games / FaZe ClanWix is donating $1000 to the Southeast Llama Rescue for every Fortnite loot llama destroyed by a member of FaZe Clan during the Fortnite World Cup. Loot llamas hold a lot of in-game goodies in the battle royale title and can easily help you get geared up for the endgame, but now they have the potential to benefit real-life llamas each time they are destroyed, depending on who gets to them first. Wix has partnered with the Southeast Llama Rescue and will be giving out a grand to the charity for each llama destroyed by the FaZe members during the Solo World Cup Finals and Duo World Cup Finals, as well as the Charity Match and World Cup Pro-Am Finals. FaZe Clan has six players representing them during the World Cup, so there’s a decent chance we’ll be seeing some llamas being destroyed here, which is good news for everyone that is backing the cause. Each qualified player has a decent chance of winning the whole tournament, too, so if they are able to survive to endgame during each round, we expect to see at least one llama being put to the sword. Since Wix is partnered with FaZe, this charity offer isn’t extended to every player in the World Cup, so you’ll have to be rooting for them if you want to see any money go to the llamas. With each round of Fortnite spawning multiple of the in-game loot items, there’s certainly the potential for a lot of money to be raised. When does the Fortnite World Cup begin? The main tournaments of the Solos and Duos don’t kick off until July 27 and 28 respectively, but the Creative World Cup and Celebrity Pro-Am are both starting July 26. It’s set up to be an action-packed weekend and even Epic themselves is calling it the “greatest tournament of all time.” Only time will tell if that’s true, but it’s hard to deny the excitement and hype Epic have built around this event.

  • FaZe Thiefs and Webs smash Fortnite world record for Duo vs Squads – Dexerto

FaZe Thiefs and Webs smash Fortnite world record for Duo vs Squads FaZe Clan’s Thiefs and duo partner Webs have beaten the world record for most eliminations in a Duo vs Squad match, overtaking the previous record by three kills. The record was held by streamers Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins and Ali ‘SypherPK‘ Hassan for some time, before their 46 eliminations was outdone by ImClutchPlayz and iMrSharpShooter, with 47, on January 26, 2019. Unfortunately for ImClutchPlayz and iMrSharpShooter, their record has not stood for long, as it has been roundly beaten by the duo of Thiefs and Webs, who racked up an insane 50 eliminations in a single match. Thiefs managed 21 kills, while Webs led the way with 29 – and they very nearly missed out on the 50 mark after the final opponent almost elected to simply die to storm damage. Fortunately, Thiefs was there in the nick of time to put the final shots into the enemy, although this actually prevented Webs from hitting 30 as a solo player. The pair searched for the final enemy for almost five minutes, before finally locating them in Tilted Towers, and securing the mammoth record. It’s only the fourth world record in Fortnite which has over 50 kills, the others being Trio vs Squad (PC) with 53, Squads (PC) with 59 and Squads (Console) with a whopping 61. You can see the full list of Fortnite world records here, updated regularly. Webs happens to also hold the console record for a solo match, with 30 kills. Duo vs Squads is the record most commonly beaten however, so how long Thiefs and Webs can hold on to the top spot remains to be seen.

  • FaZe Thiefs explains why skill-based matchmaking is “ruining” Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Thiefs explains why skill-based matchmaking is “ruining” Fortnite Thiefs/Epic GamesFaZe Clan’s Fortnite streamer Nicholas ‘Thiefs’ Smorto has slammed Epic Games for “ruining” their own game with skill-based matchmaking. Fortnite Season 10 has been quite different from the seasons that have paved the way for it, with fans regularly voicing their opinion on what they don’t approve of. Many players were vocal in their dislike of the BRUTE Mech suits – even though Epic moved to back their introduction for the majority of the season. Yet, one other major change that not everyone has approved of has been skill-based matchmaking, which pools players from all platforms into lobbies depending on a determined skill rank from Epic. Despite the developers giving their thoughts on the major update, not everyone has been happy with the response. On October 10, FaZe Clan’s Thiefs let his anger out and vented right at the direction of Epic Games’ Twitter account. Read More: Where are the Fortnite Season 11 teasers? – “You guys are ruining your own game,” he stated. “Skill-based matchmaking is not fun and not good or healthy for the game. People just wanna play pubs and it’s not fun to even just play casually anymore.” @FortniteGame You guys are ruining your own game. Skill based matchmaking is not fun and not good or healthy for the game. People just wanna play pubs and it’s not fun to even just play casually anymore.. — FaZe Thiefs (@Thiefs) October 10, 2019 The usual ‘solution’ to this problem that Fortnite fans suggest is hitting up the Arena playlist, but there have been complaints about long loading times in the higher divisions. Thiefs’ fellow FaZe member Replays added that he’d opt to play Arena instead, but it’s “too bad” that it “takes like 30 minutes” to get into a match when he’s in the Champions division. I wish I could play arena and have mats per kill and health, that’d definitely feel a lil more casual. Too bad it takes like 30 minutes to get into a game when you’re in champions☹️ — FaZe Replays (@Replays) October 10, 2019 Not everyone agreed with Thiefs’ stance, though, as members of the FortniteCompetitive subreddit noted that the changes had stopped content creators from dominating lobbies against weaker players. While calls for changes will continue as Fortnite fans gear up for Season 11, it remains to be seen if Epic Games will respond to the cries with a revert – just like they have in the past. It’s worth noting, though, that other high profile Fortnite players may not agree that skill-based matchmaking is an issue for the game. In fact, popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has argued that it’s actually the only thing keeping Fortnite interesting for casual players. Reverting back to the ways thing were would certainly be a sweeping change, especially after the developers defended their new system, but whether that happens or not is a guessing game for now.

  • FaZe Tfue wants a new Fortnite map and a lot of people agree – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue wants a new Fortnite map and a lot of people agree Instagram: Tfue/Epic GamesFaZe Clan’s Fortnite pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney wants one significant change made to the game – with Epic Games introducing a brand new map. When Epic Games released their hugely successful battle royale title, it didn’t take long for them to start alluding towards major map changes. Their own FAQ section of their website states that they plan on adding maps, but it does not state just when that would be. They have fulfilled their promise to continue updating points of interest – adding new ones and making changes to others. With previous updates, the Fortnite map has received new points of interests including Paradise Palms in the desert biome to the east and the Arctic area to the south-west. However, Tfue wants them to go one step further and add a completely new map. On February 21, the Fortnite pro tweeted: “Fortnite needs to drop a new map,” but did not elaborate further on his point-of-view. Read More: Fortnite World Cup announced – $30 million prize pool, how to qualify and watch, location, dates – Yet, he wasn’t alone in wanting a fresh new map from Epic, with a number of high-profile names from the game’s scene agreeing with his statement and making their own little requests, too. YouTuber and streamer, KittyPlays, who recently casted the Secret Skirmish event, quickly added: “SRSLYYYYYYY (Seriously),” enthusiastically agreeing with what the FaZe Clan pro had posted. CompLexity Gaming’s Julian ‘Xil’ Miller also chimed with in a simple response of his own. “Yes please,” he replied to Tfue. 100 Thieves pro player and content creator SirDimetrious was also supportive of a potential new map, while also returning to an older selection of weapons and loot. “I want the season two weapon set/loot table inserted on to a brand new map,” the 100 Thieves pro replied. “And then gradually started adding cool utility items and stuff.” And then gradually started adding cool utility items and stuff. — 100T SirD (@SirDimetrious) February 22, 2019 It’s not the first time the FaZe Clan member has been critical of the map recently. On February 19 he explained his reasons behind wanting Tilted Towers removed from the game – claiming that it was fun at first but had become ‘trash.’ It remains to be seen if Epic Games will deliver on their promise of a new map anytime soon or if they will just continue to update current points of interest with Fortnite Season 8 set to arrive in the coming weeks.

When he was playing solo! So I’m gonna make him number one in the world, 146 million, two-time – oh yeah baby!” One of the party goers then poured the champagne over his head, which had been opened just after Tfue climbed through the window of his streaming office to join in the celebration. “I love it! I love it!” Tfue’s father shouted amidst the champagne shower. “Number one in the world!” This isn’t the first time Tfue’s dad has expressed excitement over his son’s wins on stream, either. He also crashed Tfue’s livestream in July, after his victory with FaZe cLoak in a Fortnite Fridays tournament, where he dumped champagne on his son’s head out of joy. Tfue’s latest victory earned him $37,500 and 170 team points for the Rift Raiders. While Tfue’s stellar performances might have outshined the competition, his dad certainly stole the show.

  • FaZe Tfue vents his frustrations at Fortnite Season 8 update – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue vents his frustrations at Fortnite Season 8 update Fortnite’s Season 8, making it clear that he is not a fan of the game’s latest major update. Fortnite Season 8 officially released on Thursday, February 28, bringing with it a host of new content such as three new Points of Interest, and the brand new Pirate Cannon. While many have enjoyed the changes made to the game with the introduction of V8.00 update, Tenney has made it clear that he is unhappy, citing a lack of fixes made to the game as the reason. Tfue first showed his displeasure at the V8.00 update on Twitter, with the streamer posting: “Glad everyone’s enjoying the new season because I’m sure not.” Glad everyone’s enjoying the new season because I’m sure not :skin-tone-2: — Tfue (@TTfue) February 28, 2019 While broadcasting gameplay of the new season on Twitch, Tenney broke down his biggest problem with the update, specifically the lack of fixes for issues that he felt Epic Games needed to address. “Dude, they still haven’t fixed fucking ramp peeking,” the FaZe Clan member stated. “This game is so fucking shit, like fix your shit man. I thought they were going to fix shit today but everything is still the same. It’s annoying. They fixed nothing.” Tfue has also voiced his annoyance at the Infantry Rifle, calling on the game’s developers to remove the weapon after labeling it as “easily the worst and least reliable weapon.” Tenney was scheduled to compete in the ESL Katowice Royale tournament that kicks off on Friday, March 1, but decided against attending due to what he considered was low prize money.

  • FaZe Tfue reveals why he might not play in the Fortnite World Cup Finals – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue reveals why he might not play in the Fortnite World Cup Finals Tfue, Twitch / Epic GamesFaZe Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has hinted that he might not take part in the Fortnite World Cup Finals – despite its massive, $30 million prize pool. Tenney discussed the issue during a stream on February 22, where he reacted to a clip of streamer NickMercs arguing that Tfue should be invited to the tournament without having to play through qualifiers. Tfue claimed that he would have a better chance of qualifying if not for his occupation as a full-time streamer, as his gameplay footage is widely available for players to study in advance. [Timestamp at 1:07 for mobile viewers] “The majority of the players going versus us know where I play, know where I land,” Tfue said of the issue. “They know how I do things. It’s not the fucking same.” The pro went on to speculate that he might not qualify at all due to the problem, and admitted that he isn’t a fan of the Cup’s style of competition. “That’s not the [competition] that I like,” Tfue continued. “It’s gonna be wack.” While Tfue plans to wear random skins and play off-stream to help better his chances, it doesn’t seem like one of Fortnite’s most popular players is looking forward to the Cup – which boasts one of esports’ most historic prize pools of all time. The Fortnite World Cup kicks off with ten weeks of online qualifying tournaments, running from April 13 to June 16. While each qualifier will award the winning player $1 million, the Cup’s first place prize cashes out at a whopping $3,000,000 – and a unique place in history for the victor.

  • FaZe Tfue shows how to get two free items from Fortnite vending machines – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue shows how to get two free items from Fortnite vending machines Fortnite professional player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has shown fans how they can nab multiple free items from vending machines in the game. Vending machines received a major update in the v8.10 patch for the popular battle royale game, which introduced the brand new Baller vehicle alongside a host of weapon balancing changes. Previously, players were forced to spend materials if they wanted to receive the items that are found inside the vending machine, however after the new update, that is no longer the case. Instead, items found in a vending machine are now free, but there is a catch – once the item has been redeemed, the machine will disappear, meaning nobody else can use it. It seems that there may be a way around this though, as FaZe Clan’s Tfue has found a way to receive multiple items from a vending machine, as long as you’re playing with a partner. As demonstrated by Tfue and Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo, if two players take something from a vending machine at the exact same time, two of the item will be dropped, with Tfue saying it’s easy to do as “the timing isn’t that tight.” This trick will be extremely helpful for duos or squads who would like more than one of an item for their teammates, although it’s currently unknown whether three or four players could try this trick and see the vending machine drop all of them the weapon or item. It’s likely that this is a bug with the vending machine, so expect to see Epic Games move to fix this in the near future.

  • FaZe Tfue outlines the “only” reason he hates Fortnite stream snipers – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue outlines the “only” reason he hates Fortnite stream snipers Epic Games/TfueFaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed that while he doesn’t care about stream snipers pushing him in Fortnite, there’s one thing about them that really grinds his gears. Like in plenty of other multiplayer titles, stream sniping is rampant in Fortnite’s battle royale mode. Epic Games have already made changes to the game in a bid to combat stream snipers by updating their Streamer Mode capabilities at the end of January – giving players the option to hide other players names from the in-game feeds. However, that’s not stopped the continuous stream sniping that streamers like Tfue and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins experience during their broadcasts. Tfue has already made his feelings clear about stream snipers in the past, but the Fortnite professional never passes up the opportunity to take more shots. “When it comes to stream snipers bro, I don’t give a fuck,” Tfue said to begin his rant during his March 24 stream. “I personally don’t care about these fucking idiots that land on me, push me, whatever bro – it’s a video game, I don’t care. It’s a fucking video game, I really don’t care.” He continued on by adding: “What I do care about is them downgrading this premium content that I am streaming on Twitch by stream sniping. That fucking pisses me off and that upsets me. “These fucking kids that are stream sniping are making the content less enjoyable – that is the only thing I care about.” While Tfue says that he doesn’t care about stream snipers, he may just be bending the truth slightly as he hilariously ranted about the same issue only a day earlier on March 23. Nevertheless, he doesn’t seem to lie about being frustrated by stream snipers who ruin his broadcasts for his viewers. Fans tune in to watch the Fortnite pro pull off incredible plays, not sit in the pre-game lobby after being trolled by other players. It remains to be seen if Epic will start handing out severe punishments to players who take it upon themselves to stream snipe, but clearly Tfue thinks it’s reached the point where it’s having an impact on the quality of his content.

  • FaZe Tfue got taken out by a kid in Fortnite, and his reaction is priceless – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue got taken out by a kid in Fortnite, and his reaction is priceless FaZe Tfue showed his audience a Twitch clip that featured one of his recent deaths, where he was taken out by a young player named ‘SanthroTV’ and his posse. He warned viewers to lower their volume in preparation for the clip – which is good advice to take, as the child’s voice is incredibly high and piercing. In fact, Tfue could already hear the clip through his teammate’s headphones, who inspired him to play the video during one of his broadcasts. Read More: Full recap of Fortnite Fall Skirmish Week 4 tournament – highlights, final scores and placements, and current Club Standings – “Turn your volume down,” Tfue said. “Beware, because I already know this is gonna be cringe. …this is who we die to constantly.” The clip shows the child in question dropping into the map, after which he recognized Tfue and was promptly knocked down by the pro. However, one of the kid’s teammates managed to take him out – much to their elation. “We killed Tfue!” the child screamed over and over again, his voice squeaking. Tfue appeared to be exasperated at the young player’s enthusiasm. “Alright, well,” he commented, shaking his head and checking his phone before hopping back into a game. “So, how’s your day going, man?” Tfue’s teammate asked after the clip played, laughing. This hilarious moment follows Tfue’s Week 4 win in the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, where he took first place, earning a whopping $37,500 and 170 team points for the Rift Raiders. While Tfue may be a famous Fortnite professional, it looks as though even the pros can be taken out by overly enthusiastic stream snipers.

  • FaZe Tfue hits back at cheating accusations in World Cup qualifiers – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue hits back at cheating accusations in World Cup qualifiers FaZe Clan star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney pulled no punches after he was alleged to have cheated during a World Cup qualifier by a player who was banned for the same offence. As we enter week four of qualifiers for the largest esport tournament in history, Epic Games were forced to issue a statement surrounding the controversy where it appeared a professional player was being handed free kills, meaning free points, enabling him to secure a spot at the solo tournament in New York. After reviewing the evidence, the developers decided to hand the player a 14-day ban and revoked his qualification spot – now, Tfue has been accused of doing the exact same thing during his games with duo partner FaZe Cloak. Tfue accused of cheating in the World Cup qualifier While landing at The Block, Tfue managed to pick up a weapon and quickly eliminate a defenseless opponent, leading to suggestions on Twitter from the player accused of feeding kills in the solo event, that Tfue should face similar consequences. However, the FaZe pro stated that he had over 100,000 viewers on Twitch at the time – making it impossible to hide any blatant cheating – and that no one was watching the banned player during the stream where he cheated. 100k+ people were watching me how many people were watching you and @RiseXXiF ????….0 okay dope — Tfue (@TTfue) May 5, 2019 The 21-year-old wasn’t finished yet as he continued his series of tweets against the player who accused him of gaining an unfair advantage. Tfue tweeted out that while a 14-day ban would keep the player out of action for a while, he still wouldn’t qualify anyway because “he sucks”. Like a 14 day bad matters when you suck and won’t qualify anyway @BosWuji — Tfue (@TTfue) May 5, 2019 Many pro players have pledged their support to Tfue, but the player who accused him has seemingly taken the tirade of abuse heading his way as a positive, advertising his Twitch channel stating Tfue has “started a Twitch career for him”. Nevertheless, for Tfue, it’s back to business and securing another qualification spot at the World Cup duo event alongside his long-term teammate.

  • FaZe Tfue gives his verdict on Fortnite’s Mounted Turret, discusses the worst ever additions to the game – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue gives his verdict on Fortnite’s Mounted Turret, discusses the worst ever additions to the game Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is one of best Fortnite Battle Royale players on the planet, but that doesn’t automatically mean the FaZe Clan star approves of every aspect of the game. The Fortnite Fall Skirmish champion made that clear during a recent Twitch stream when he discussed the controversial Mounted Turret, which was added to the game in the v6.30 patch on November 14. “The [Mounted] Turret is actually one of the dumbest things they’ve added in the game, no joke,” Tfue said after dealing with a player using the incredibly powerful item during the early stages of a game. He went on to compare the Mounted Turret with unpopular additions, stating: “Like, when you think of like the worst things they’ve added to the game, I would say Jetpack is up there, the Double Barrel [Shotgun] is definitely up there when it was like super overpowered. “But like, I don’t know dude, I think the Turret takes the cake. What do you guys think? I think the Turret is the worst thing they’ve added to this game. Easily.” The Mounted Turret proved to be an exceptionally powerful item as soon as it was added to the game, and some of Fortnite’s best known players, including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, were quick to point out its flaws. Despite a hotfix on November 15 that nerfed the Turret’s health, and another on November 16 that nerfed its availability, the powerful weapon is clearly still causing issues for players of all levels. There’s no denying the fact that Tfue is one of the best Fortnite players around, but even he has struggled to find a way of consistently dealing with players using the Mounted Turret when he encounters them. It will be interesting to see how Tfue receives the game’s latest addition, Dynamite, when he gets the chance to test it out. The explosive item has already received criticism from some pro players that believe Epic should be concentrating on other aspects of the game.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite Battle Royale desperately needs a new map – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite Battle Royale desperately needs a new map FaZe Clan Fortnite Battle Royale professional, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, has blasted the game’s current map and feels that the only way to improve is to make a brand new one. Map changes are extremely common in Fortnite as every season passes by, and it seems no location is safe from changes with Epic Games removing popular locations such as Greasy Grove and Risky Reels during the past few months. Recent leaks suggest that Tilted Towers, arguably the most iconic location in Fortnite, as well as Retail Row could be the next significant point of interests to be affected on the map, but such changes have left Tfue extremely unimpressed. Tfue slams Fortnite Battle Royale map The popular streamer vented his frustrations to his Twitch viewers during a stream on April 26, stating that Epic Games must bring out a whole new map in order to match their battle royale competitors. “They need to make a new map,” he said. “The map is dogshit. I’ve played countless BR maps, and this is probably one of the worst ones when it comes to how things are placed – it makes no fucking sense.” Why is Tfue unhappy with the map? It could be argued that Tfue has been affected more than most with the recent map changes when it comes to competitive Fortnite. He enjoyed plenty of success at TwitchCon at his previous drop spot, the small town south of Paradise Palms – commonly known as Westworld, before Epic severely nerfed the location by removing rifts. Therefore, Tfue opted to switch his drop location to Lazy Links – only for his new home to be wiped out following the introduction of the volcano in Season 8 – forcing him to drop at Frosty Flights which is one of the most popular spots in competitive due to the numerous Baller spawns. Despite Tfue’s calls for a new map, it’s unlikely Epic Games plan on releasing one anytime soon.

  • FaZe Tfue allegedly swatted LIVE during Fortnite pro scrim game and wins – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue allegedly swatted LIVE during Fortnite pro scrim game and wins Professional Fortnite player and streamer FaZe Tfue was allegedly swatted during his livestream of a pro scrim game on November 9 – and managed to pull off a win in the midst of the madness. Tfue was participating in the game with teammate FaZe Cloak when he noticed the sound of police sirens in the street outside of the Clout house. “Man, what the fuck? Do you hear the police on our street?” He asked Cloak. Tfue then stepped away from his setup to scout out the situation for a cool minute, and returned to the game blessedly unharmed – securing a #1 Victory Royale shortly thereafter. “Fuck, I was AFK like half that game,” Tfue said of his win. “Dude, why the fuck were the cops here?” A short conversation between he and Cloak revealed that law enforcement had only visited the Clout house, leaving the neighboring FaZe Fortnite team house untouched. According to Tfue, two police officers were called to the house in an alleged swatting. Two neighbors, who were making art in the street at the time of the incident, managed to clear up the situation before it could escalate further – likely saving Tfue from a stressful investigation. “Somebody obviously tried to fucking swat me,” Tfue explained to his stream. “Fucking idiots. Dumbasses. Fucking wasting peoples’ time. The cops could be out there saving lives, but they’re coming to my house because of some kid.” Tfue then went on to explain that the prank caller had told officers that an invader was breaking into his home, which he vehemently denied. Swatting has recently become a major issue for internet personalities; IRL streamer ICE_POSEIDON was swatted on a plane in summer 2017, after revealing his flight number during a live broadcast, and Kansas resident Andrew Finch was even killed in a swatting prank in summer 2018.

  • FaZe Tfue explains the new game changing Fortnite grappler exploit – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue explains the new game changing Fortnite grappler exploit FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed a frustrating exploit in Fortnite involving the Grappler item, claiming that it should be nerfed or removed the game. The professional player has been explaining the issue on stream, which allows ‘in the know’ players to reach higher ground a lot quicker. By using the Grappler in this way, not only can you spring up to reach an opponent who has built up high, but zoom almost three stories ahead of them in the air. This gives you an incredible advantage in this type of situation, even if the enemy tries to fend off the attack by building. “They need to fucking nerf it or just take the Grappler out, it’s stupid. It’s actually dumb. You can’t prevent it, like you’re getting the high ground 1000%. There’s nothing you can do” he explained. Tfue decided to walk viewers through the exploit – which can still be used in the game right now – after being eliminated by another player who used the item in this way. Footage of both the death and his explanation can be found below. (Timestamp of 0:20 for mobile users) You can see that the height advantage gained by players using the item gives the builder little chance to defend themselves from an attack. Tfue’s earlier death also shows how it’s going to continue to cost players if it’s left in the game. There has been no official response from Epic Games as of yet. Will the exploit be nerfed or will the Grappler be completely removed?

  • FaZe Tfue, Cloak, Nate Hill and Tennp0 rack up insane number of kills in Fortnite squads – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue, Cloak, Nate Hill and Tennp0 rack up insane number of kills in Fortnite squads Tfue/Epic GamesWinning a Fortnite squads game is already a difficult prospect but doing it while also trying your best to break a world record makes it that little bit more challenging. Yet, that’s what four members of the FaZe Clan Fortnite squad tried to do to kick off the month of February. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, Nate ‘Nate Hill’ Hill and Jason ‘Tennp0’ Wang all banded together in an attempt to break the record that has stood since September 2018. They came extremely close, but could they do it? They ended one game with 46 kills between them – including the final elimination where Tfue watched on as Cloak, Nate Hill and Tennp0 picked up the Victory Royale for the squad. The final three remaining FaZe players styled on one poor, unsuspecting player who did their very best to build some sort of shelter in the final closing circle. It was the crowning moment on an incredible performance from the squad. The 46 kills may not have been close to a new world record but its still a phenomenal amount of kills to rack up in a single game. The current world record for most kills in a squads game on PC is set at 59. That record is held by 3vil, 7ssk7, Jamside and whistle. You can view the full list of Fortnite world records for all devices in our dedicated hub which is updated on a regular basis.

  • FaZe Tfue discovers “broken” Fortnite exploit with The Baller and Volcano – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue discovers “broken” Fortnite exploit with The Baller and Volcano Tfue/Epic GamesFaZe Clan Fortnite professional Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney stumbled onto a new bug with the new The Baller vehicle during a recent stream – and he couldn’t stop laughing at what he witnessed. The V8.10 Update for Fortnite officially released on Tuesday, March 12, and brought with it a brand new vehicle – The Baller. The single-occupancy vehicle has a Grappler attached to the front, which makes for some ridiculous footage as it bounces around the map. Yet, players have already discovered a new use for the vehicle – flying in the sky and getting a better look at the entire map, while also having the chance to redeploy and take up a new position within the circle. Tfue took the vehicle into the lava below the Volcano. After rolling towards the main flowing waterfall-like part of the fiery surface, the popular streamer was sent flying into the air – giving him a full birds-eye view of the map. “Yo!” Tfue called out after laughing at what had happened. “Yo! That’s fucking broken!” he added further after ejecting himself from the vehicle and began gliding back down towards the ground. While the popular Fortnite professional and streamer alluded to the fact that something was wrong with his “broken” comment, he could clearly see the funny side of things as he laughed all the way through. Strange things like that happen in Fortnite often due to a number of different reasons – prompting Epic Games into action whenever a tweak needs to be made. Seeing as Tfue isn’t the only player to come across the bug, Epic will probably issue a fix sooner rather than later. • FaZe Sway loses Fortnite creator code over account sharing – Dexerto

FaZe Sway loses Fortnite creator code over account sharing FaZe Sway / Epic GamesFortnite star FaZe Sway has revealed that his Support a Creator Code, which allows players to give him a percentage of their in-game purchases, has been taken away permanently. Popular Fortnite player and YouTube star FaZe Sway has made a name for himself in the competitive scene as one of the best controller players, but now he’s revealed that his Creator Code has been removed by Epic Games. With the Support A Creator program, players can elect to support their favorite creators every time they spend V-Bucks in the game. This gives content creators another way of making money alongside the traditional methods like streaming and videos. In a pair of tweets from July 20, 2021, FaZe Sway told his 1.4 million followers that his Support a Creator Code had been taken away “permanently”, but also said that he “needed this [to happen] as a wakeup call”. just got my support a creator code taken away permanently pic.twitter.com/eJjj09IlaF — sway (@swaywtw) July 20, 2021 lowkey needed this as a wake up call, bouta start going crazy on everything now. — sway (@swaywtw) July 20, 2021 The tweets included a screenshot of an email sent by an Epic Games employee which explained that he was removed “due to violations of the Terms of Service you agreed upon when joining the program”. While the FaZe Clan member didn’t share the reason why it was removed on Twitter, he later opened up about what happened during a Fortnite stream on Twitch. Apparently, the removal of his Support a Creator Code occurred because he was account sharing with viewers, and not for comments he’d made on social media as some followers had previously speculated. Account sharing is against Epic Games’ terms of use, with their website clearly stating: “Account buying, selling, or sharing is not allowed.” Despite this being a significant source of income for many content creators, FaZe Sway doesn’t seem too bothered about the removal – he even told viewers that he “doesn’t really care” about it while streaming.

  • FaZe Sway accused of “ruining” Fortnite player’s career over fake ‘scam’ – Dexerto

FaZe Sway accused of “ruining” Fortnite player’s career over fake ‘scam’ Popular Fortnite star FaZe Sway has been accused of falsely labeling a player as a scammer, which has apparently “ruined” their competitive career. Fortnite pro FaZe Sway has made a name for himself in the competitive community and is known for being one of the game’s better controller players alongside the likes of Aydan and NICKMERCS. However, he has found himself at the center of controversy after being accused of ruining a player’s career following a wager match between the pair, according to YouTuber The Fortnite Guy. The YouTuber highlighted that a competitive player who goes by “ImZarz” accused the Sway of “ruining his career” by claiming he was scammed over a wager match on Fortnite. The Fortnite Guy shared the exchange which took place between the pair in Twitter messages, highlighting that FaZe Sway had demanded to be sent $50 after there was a disagreement over the amount of money placed on their match. According to the leaked messages, the pair had agreed to start with a $10 wager, however, after the match had concluded the disagreement led to FaZe Sway posting on Twitter and ‘exposing’ Zarz for “scamming” him. In one of his streams, ImZarz revealed that the post has had a massive impact on him, showing that many of FaZe Sway’s fans had begun harassing him in private messages. “That’s not cool what you did, you went over the line. You tweeted me out and I’m getting so much hate right now for no reason,“ the player claimed, while trying to resolve the issue with the FaZe Clan pro. The Fortnite Guy later explained that ImZarz was starting to rise in popularity before his exchange with Sway, and that it had a negative impact on his career competing in Fortnite. “The really sad thing for ImZarz is that he was on the come up,“ the YouTuber revealed, before highlighting some of his analytics, “He just recently had a video over 900,000 views, then all of this drama happened and it just completely stunted his growth.“ The Fortnite Guy also revealed that he had reached out to FaZe Sway multiple times to clarify what had happened and apologize to the player, however, he has not commented on the situation publicly as of yet.

  • FaZe Sway responds to accusations of “teaming” in Fortnite Solos Cash Cup – Dexerto

FaZe Sway responds to accusations of “teaming” in Fortnite Solos Cash Cup Update 8/29/2019 at 3:18 PM ET. FaZe Sway responded to the accusations of cheating. “I was on a call with friends while playing after realizing it was Wistles fighting I chose to leave,” he wrote. “I shouldn’t have changed what I was doing because it was a friend. I never had an intention to team up on anybody so I wanted to clear the air. I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to do anything wrong but will accept whatever repercussions come my way.” Original story follows. Fortnite pro player and FaZe Clan member Sway has been accused of ‘teaming’ during a match in the Solos Cash Cup, by fellow competitive player and streamer Sour. The second week of Fortnite’s Solos Cash Cup took place on Wednesday, August 28, as players compete online for their share of cash prizes. As the name implies, these games are played solo, without the help of teammates, but Sour has accused Sway and another player, Wistles, of skirting this rule and playing tactically together. On August 28, Sour claimed: “Just got teamed on by FaZe Sway and Wistles in the Cash Cup. Is this acceptable in competitive? This sort of thing really puts me off.” In his tweet, he included footage of what he argues shows the FaZe player helping Wistles in the fight vs Sour, and then proceeding to leave Wistles alone, rather than engaging with him as would be expected. Explaining what went down, Sway went on to say “All I see is a fucking Whistle Warrior just jumping into someone’s box.” The claims sparked debate, with some arguing that it wasn’t a serious tournament and therefore wasn’t as egregious as ‘teaming’ in a more prestigious event. Others, however, suggested that teaming is cheating regardless of the situation, and with money on the line, Sour was right to be angered with the situation. Examples of Collusion include the following: Teaming: Players working together during the match while on opposing teams. – Planned Movement: Agreement between 2 or more opposing players to land at specific locations or to move through the map in a planned way before the match begins. – Communication: Sending or receiving signals (both verbal and non-verbal) to communicate with opposing players. – Item Dumping: Intentionally dropping items for an opposing player to collect. – Dexerto has reached out to Sway for comment.

  • FaZe Mongraal stuns viewers and pros with mind-blowing aim on Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Mongraal stuns viewers and pros with mind-blowing aim on Fortnite Professional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan, Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, stunned his viewers and fellow pros with an incredible demonstration of his talents on January 11. Despite being just 15 years old, Mongraal has established himself as one of the best Fortnite players in the world. He finished 13th in the world for the solo competition in the Fortnite World Cup, while he and partner Mitr0 finished 6th in the duos tournament at the same event. Since then, he has won numerous online tournaments in Fortnite, cementing his standing as one of the best professional players in the world. This was a position he proved once again on January 11, although not through direct competition against other excellent players. While messing around with a Fortnite creative mode, Mongraal stunned his viewers with his insane ability to track a target. The mode in question sees a small target move quickly along a multilayered track, as the player tries to stick to it with their aim as best they can. It’s fair to say Mongraal passed the test with flying colors. After sticking to the target for multiple runs, the 15-year-old then proceeded to shoot at it and, while using both the Scar and the game’s Burst Assault Rifle, barely missed a bullet. Not only did he demonstrate his ability to track a target, but stunned viewers with his ability to control recoil, even on a fast-moving target. While Mongraal’s viewers were impressed with the aim on display, so too were the pro players in his discord. As Jackson annihilates the target with his uncompromising aim, one person in his chat was joking “nobody clip that”, clearly stunned at the talent on show. Mongraal, for his part, retained his focus and continued to stick to the target like glue before finally exclaiming: “Someone clip that and send it in my chat right now!” If it wasn’t clear why he’s one of the best in the world, it should be now.

  • Nate Hill and HighDistortion suggest extreme solutions to Fortnite’s RNG issues – Dexerto

Nate Hill and HighDistortion suggest extreme solutions to Fortnite’s RNG issues Twitter: HighDistortion / Epic Games / YouTube: NateHillProfessional Fortnite players Nate Hill and Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno have come up with some extreme solutions to cure one of the game’s most annoying problems – dying early on because you can’t find a weapon. Fortnite is a battle royale game, which means that players land on the map with no weapons or materials, and must search for these items in the hope of finding them before an opponent does. This can lead to some frustrating encounters though, as an opponent could immediately find a much more powerful gun than you, or even grab one before you’ve even discovered a weapon, leaving you exposed and likely heading back to the lobby. FaZe Clan’s Hill and TSM’s HighDistortion think they may have a fix to this issue though, with Nate suggesting that the popular Siphon mechanic, which rewards players with health and shields when they find a kill, should return, and players should land with a pistol and 50 wood. The Fortnite pro wrote on Twitter: “No more bricking three chest spawns and dying to a weirdo who late lands on the one spot you didn’t look.” The 24-year-old also stated that an invulnerability period, suggested by his followers, could work, and would solve the downside of everyone having pistols and immediately opening fire on defenceless opponents trying to land. After seeing comments. Invulnerability off initial land would solve a lot of the downside to everyone landing with a pistol. — Nate Hill (@NateHillTV) July 2, 2019 HighDistortion disagreed, instead putting forward an idea that would see Fortnite take inspiration from Halo, and introduce regenerative shields like the legendary FPS game. According to a user on Reddit, the TSM star confirmed on stream that shields would only regenerate when the player is not moving or performing any actions, meaning that players couldn’t sit in a box and continuously place walls while accruing more shield points. The idea of a pistol being given to every player upon landing seems to go against the entire concept of the battle royale genre, with RNG a staple part of these games, requiring players to loot up to find weapons. Unfortunately for the two pro players, it seems unlikely that Epic Games would ever implement these changes into the game, although the developers have been known to listen and use player feedback to adjust the title.

  • FaZe Mongraal robbed of FNCS qualification after disconnecting at worst possible time – Dexerto

FaZe Mongraal robbed of FNCS qualification after disconnecting at worst possible time FaZe Clan / Epic GamesFaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson was left frustrated and disappointed after a poorly timed Fortnite disconnection saw him miss out on FNCS Qualification by 1 point. Mongraal’s Fortnite talents have seen the 16-year-old British pro become one of Twitch’s most-followed creators. He currently boasts upwards of 4 million followers, with fans regularly tuning in to see him compete at the highest level of competitive Fortnite. That was exactly what was happening on February 19, as Mongraal and his trio sought to progress in Fortnite’s Champion Series. However, as the game approached its climax and final circles, an unfortunate disconnect ruined Mongraal and his trio’s qualification attempts. The FaZe Clan pro was boxed up with teammate Quinten, as the pair looked to secure a decent finish in spite of Mitr0’s early demise. There were 45 players left in the game when, inexplicably, Mongraal was hit with a swift disconnect. At the time of the disconnect, his trio were just 3 points shy of qualification to the next stage of the FNCS. “I just got disconnected, no! It’s over,” he exclaimed after being sent back to the pre-game lobby. “I just got disconnected. Continue [playing] – oh my god. No, no, this game doesn’t want us to qualify.” What made the disconnect even more frustrating was that Mongraal, Mitr0 and Quinten would go on to miss out on qualification by 1 point, meaning that if Mongraal had managed to play the game to completion, qualification would have been basically guaranteed. Mongraal’s teammate, Quinten, vented his anger on Twitter, explaining that they needed one more team to die to guarantee qualification. “135 points going into last game, we need top 15 to qualify,” he said. “When we are top 16 Mongraal gets disconnected and I drop 500 below surge and die I never wanna play this game again”. His frustrations are certainly understandable but, knowing the talent he, Mongraal and Mitr0 possess, they’ll be back competing at the top of the FNCS soon.

  • FaZe Mongraal reveals pro Fortnite tricks that “got him in FaZe Clan” – Dexerto

FaZe Mongraal reveals pro Fortnite tricks that “got him in FaZe Clan” Epic Games / FaZe Clan YouTubeFortnite wonder Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson has some of the fastest builds and edits in the competitive scene which got the attention of famous esport org FaZe Clan. Epic Games’ battle royale has completely transformed itself since its initial release in 2017. Both the game and its pro players have consistently upped the ante in terms of skill and tactics employed during a match. One of the key difference makers for determining a firefight in Fortnite is the creativity from players to change up or outwit their opponents with various build methods. Speed and diversity when placing mats is crucial, and Mongraal is one of the most popular pros doing this. The org released a video revealing “how Mongraal got into FaZe Clan” which shows over ten minutes of break neck building from the Fortnite star. Before loading up into an event or tournament, the 15-year-old puts himself through a rigorous practice session that covers everything from taking walls to prevent players from turtling, running while laying down mats then editing them without breaking stride, and a lot more. Some of the more impressive techniques are his close-quarter maneuvers that he uses when boxed in with another player. Mongraal showed how specific wall edits against a 1v1 are “always going to get your shot (off) first.” Since the third-person point of view in Fortnite has the player’s character model naturally to the left of the reticule, editing walls that give players “a right hand peek” gives them the best edge over the competition. For solo players taking on the world, Mongraal showed off a turtle technique for how to run diagonally while seamlessly building at an angle that would really throw off players. The result is a winding tunnel that’s probably the safest measure to either push an enemy stronghold or lure a chasing player to catch the unaware. While the Fortnite pro had tons of tips for players looking to improve their game, the most impressive part of the video was the speed and accuracy of Mongraal’s edits. The pro practices his precision edits over and over so that he could pull them off on a dime. Mongraal is known for his hyper-aggressive Fortnite playstyle, and coupled with his insane build techniques made his a star that FaZe Clan had to have.

  • FaZe Mongraal rages after being “triggered” by Fortnite’s unlucky circles – Dexerto

FaZe Mongraal rages after being “triggered” by Fortnite’s unlucky circles Epic Games / FaZe ClanFaZe Clan star Kyle ‘Fortnite games with awful zone RNG kept forcing him into uphill battles to get a win. One of the ways Epic Games’ battle royale tests players are by the randomized circles indicating where the storm will be encroaching next. It’s a crucial element of the game, since strategies can completely be turned on their heads if a player hunkers down in one spot just for the zone to appear on the other side of the map. During his October 3 stream, Mongraal was competing in the Solos Cash Cup when his games weren’t going so well. While his rotations, skirmishes, and mid-game tactics were on point, his late-games kept getting marred by unfortunate circle RNG. “Are you joking me?!” Mongraal said after having to give up his fortified position because the zone went to the other side of the ravine to the west of Fatal Fields. “I never get the f***ing zone! Never!” His stream’s audio cut out shortly after, and his camera that usually shows his keyboard and mouse movements was tilted off its original position due to the desk slams Mongraal was letting loose. Eventually, he stabilized his camera to its rightful position and the audio came back, when he explained how he “can’t rotate” since the 50-50 circle RNGs haven’t been going his way. “I’m done with it,” Mongraal said. “I can’t rotate. Like, if you don’t get 50-50, I’m the only one on the other side. I can’t do anything.” The game’s circle were just not on Mongraal’s side during his Solo Cash Cup matches, and in one instance he correctly predicted the consequences of getting singled out by the zone: “Now I’m going to get focused so hard on this rotation.” And like clockwork, as soon he grappled to the other side players took note of the gliding Mongraal, ending his game moments later. Various instances of unfortunate circles, drops, and players swarming on him was enough to “trigger” Mongraal, but the pro has been fighting through it to stay competitive in the Solos Cash Cup.

  • FaZe Mongraal finds major BRUTE mech exploit that gives huge advantage in Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Mongraal finds major BRUTE mech exploit that gives huge advantage in Fortnite Epic GamesFortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson found yet another exploit with the BRUTE mech during the Trio Cash cup giving his team a massive advantage in-game. The BRUTE mechs have been one of the more controversial additions to Fortnite Battle Royale with many fans claiming the armored suit was too overpowered to be allowed in competitive play. Shortly after a god-mode glitch including the BRUTE allowed players to become invincible during their battle royale game was shared, FaZe Clan’s Fortnite star, Mongraal uncovered yet another exploit with the mech suit. The start of Fortnite’s Season 10 has seen many changes to the map such as the new Zombie Spawners near retail row which drops legendary loot for players who destroy them. However, the FaZe pro’s trio which included benjyfishy and mitr0 uncovered a way to get the loot instantly during the Trio’s Cash Cup by simply Jumping and stomping near the spawner while in the mech suit. “Oh, I know how to do it! I know how to do it!” Shouted Mongraal, as he watched all of the much-needed legendary loot drop from the spawner for himself and his teammates. The BRUTE exploit saw the trio come out of Retail Row with over 13 launchpads between them as well as some other legendary loot, such as RPG’s, which set them up with a great advantage going into the late game. Despite failing to close out the game with a victory royale many viewers complained about how much of an advantage it would give players in a tournament setting, making the popular battle royale less competitive than it was. Epic Games are likely to fix this exploit going forward, however, many fans of the game are still hoping for the complete removal of the controversial mech suit from active play.

  • FaZe Jev Wants You to Stop Trying to Correct Him on the Subject of the Red Knight Skin – Dexerto

FaZe Jev Wants You to Stop Trying to Correct Him on the Subject of the Red Knight Skin The decision to re-release the Red Knight skin has upset various members of the Fortnite community because it’s no longer going to be rare. Epic Games announced on July 4th that the Red Knight would become available to purchase in the Fortnite store, and thus destroying the rarity of the skin, and the value of it on the black market. It’s believed that the move is an attempt by the developers to stop skin trading (a bannable offense) and become more inclusive in order to allow new players the chance to get something previously deemed only attainable through account sharing. We’ve seen a lot of people disagree on the subject, but FaZe Clan’s Jev wants to let you know where he stands. The content creator uploaded a Call of Duty sniper video to his channel on July 4th, but opened it with a discussion about his stance on the skin. Jev had been contacted by a number of his followers after he made comments about the re-release of the skin. “I’ve got too many damn people trying to correct me about this Red Knight as if it’s going to change. The more skins come out, the less rare it is, the less cool it is to wear because that’s the main reason people wear it.” “Regardless of how nice it looks, a lot of really nice looking skins in the game, a lot of them aren’t worn and some of the uglier skins are being worn because of how rare they are. Telling me and correcting me that it’s not an exclusive does not change the fact that the skins value is crushed. I’m just pissed because it’s one less skin that I can wear, eventually all that’s going to be left is a skull trooper.” You can watch his rant at full speed in the video below

  • FaZe Kay pulls brutal prank on Jarvis with fake Fortnite unbanning – Dexerto

FaZe Kay pulls brutal prank on Jarvis with fake Fortnite unbanning Popular content creator FaZe Kay pranked his brother Jarvis by faking an email stating that he been unbanned from Fortnite, following his recent aimbot controversy. FaZe Clan YouTuber Jarvis revealed that he had been banned from Fortnite after uploading a series of videos while using an aimbot in-game on November 3. Although the aimbot was used outside of competitive matches on one of his alternate accounts, Epic Games confirmed that the ban would be permanent, sparking much debate among fans over the severity of the punishment. Some of the game’s most popular stars such as Ninja even claimed that Jarvis’ ban was a too harsh for his first offense and expressed that there should be some option for the young creator to redeem himself. Just over a month after his suspension, his older brother and fellow FaZe Clan star Kay decided to play a prank on the former Fortnite pro, brutally misleading Jarvis by claiming that his account had been unbanned. Many fans have suggested that the prank itself was quite likely to be a planned skit from the popular FaZe Clan members, pointing out some moments in the video where the pair would apparently overreact for the camera. The popular YouTuber started by sending a false email to his little brother, claiming it was from the Epic Games support team and stating that Jarvis’ ban from Fortnite had been lifted. Topic starts at 6:46 for mobile users. However, after Jarvis quickly realized that the statement had come from an unofficial email, Kay later decided to play a recording of one of his brother’s gameplays on his monitor, claiming that he gained access to the suspended account. “That’s my name! Bro are you actually playing, how is this real?” Jarvis asked, shocked after seeing his older brother ‘playing’ on his banned Fortnite account. After falling for the prank, the young FaZe Clan member raced out to tell their roommate and fellow content creator Teeqo that he had been unbanned, before returning to realize he been fooled by his brother, who’s controller was not even on, and that it was all just a prank. Unfortunately for Jarvis, his permanent ban from Fortnite was not lifted by Epic Games despite him getting his hopes up and it appears unlikely that he will ever be able to enjoy the game on his main account again after the controversial punishment.

  • FaZe Jarvis reveals future plans following Fortnite ban – Dexerto

FaZe Jarvis reveals future plans following Fortnite ban FaZe Clan’s ‘Jarvis’, whose permanent ban from Fortnite for using an aimbot has caused a major debate, has released an emotional statement on his future. Back on November 3, the Fortnite community was rocked after the British player revealed that he had been banned for life, after using an aimbot in the mega-popular battle royale. Fans of the FaZe Clan star started the FreeJarvis movement on social media, while streamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins weighed in and explained how he could find himself back in the good graces of Epic Games. All the while, though, Jarvis has been pretty quiet, limiting his posts and not adding anything outside of his teary apology. However, that has now changed, as Jarvis confirmed what has been happening since he received the life-time suspension, the plans he has for the immediate future, while also thanking fans for their support in his meteoric rise. “I know how important it is to set a good example for everybody who watches my videos and I’ve just been taking a lot of time to reflect on everything,” he said in his ‘The Future of FaZe Jarvis’ upload on November 10. After that though, his future plans remain unknown as Jarvis stated that he doesn’t have any answers just yet, but he’ll be taking time to “reflect and figure that out.” While his love for making content may still burn brightly, getting back into Fortnite might be too tough a nut to crack. It remains to be seen what Jarvis will do next, but there are a million possibilities, and loyal fans will be eager to hear about every single one of them.

  • FaZe Fortnite stars Sway and Mongraal finally settle keyboard vs controller debate in epic 1v1 – Dexerto

FaZe Fortnite stars Sway and Mongraal finally settle keyboard vs controller debate in epic 1v1 Jarvis – YouTube / FaZe Clan / Epic GamesThe highly-anticipated 1v1 clash between FaZe Clan Fortnite superstars Mongraal and Sway has finally taken place, putting a decisive mark on the everlasting controller vs mouse and keyboard debate. When it comes to Fortnite, especially the competitive side of things, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who is not familiar with both Sway and Mongraal. The two embody everything that is being a Fortnite star in today’s world – both are young, have insane building and editing skills, can shoot weapons as accurately as anyone, and have reactions that very few can match. However, the one major difference between the two, and it is pretty significant, is the fact that Sway plays Fortnite on controller while Mongraal applies his craft on mouse and keyboard. Seeing as how they’re are currently among the best players in the world, but on opposite sides of the peripheral spectrum, fans were very excited when the two announced that they would be going head-to-head in a private 1v1 match. On July 17, Sway finally released the video of their epic 1v1 battle, which saw the two queue into a Creative mode server together and engage in some of the most intense and incredible build-battles ever seen in Fortnite The video features some of the best moments from the monumental clash, as each player tried their hardest to outdo the other in building, editing, and shooting accuracy. The fight ultimately ended with a score of 10-8, favoring Sway, with one of the rounds even ending in a tie because they had built so high up that they could not place down anymore structures. While this duel will not end the controller vs KB+M debate about which of the two is the better way to play, it does once again prove that controller players can definitely keep up with, and even top, their mouse-and-keyboard using counterparts. Mongraal further bolsters FaZe’s strong Fortnite roster Mongraal will have plenty of further opportunities to engage in 1v1s against Sway now that the latter has also joined FaZe Clan’s superb lineup of Fortnite pros and content creators. The Brit officially completed his move to FaZe from Team Secret on July 7, and will represent the organization at the upcoming Fortnite World Cup in New York, where he will be competing in both the Solos and Duos events, the latter of which with Team Atlantis’ Mitr0. Boasting well over a million followers on Twitch and subscribers on YouTube, Mongraal has essentially filled in as the replacement for FaZe’s former superstars Cloak and Tfue, both of whom recently departed from the organization.

  • How old is FaZe H1ghSky1? Tfue allegations about underage streamer reportedly confirmed – Dexerto

How old is FaZe H1ghSky1? Tfue allegations about underage streamer reportedly confirmed L: Twitter @FaZe_H1ghSky1Reports appear to have confirmed that FaZe Clan Fortnite Battle Royale player and streamer H1ghSky1 is in fact under the age of 13. H1ghSky1 joined FaZe Clan on March 22, 2019, at which point FaZe claim he was 13 years old. According to a report by Upcomer, however, the player was only 11 at that time, and is now 12 at the time of writing. The Upcomer report states that posts by H1ghSky1’s family in 2012 refer to his fifth birthday, while another post from the same year refers to him as being five years old. These posts would suggest H1ghSky1 was a month short of his 12th birthday when he signed with FaZe. The subject of H1ghSky1’s true age surfaced as part of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s lawsuit against the organization, which alleged that the player was only 11 at the time of joining and that FaZe Clan had pressured he and his family to lie about his age, which FaZe claimed was 13. This signing is alleged by the lawsuit to be in violation of California Labor Code section 1700.36, which states that “no talent agency shall accept any application for employment made by or on behalf of any minor”. Outside of the ongoing lawsuit, however, H1ghSky1’s age could have additional consequences. Participating in Epic Games-sanctioned Fortnite Battle Royale events has a minimum age requirement of 13 years old, as does streaming on YouTube or becoming a Twitch partner. Should those platforms also determine H1ghSky1 to be under the age of 13, it could spell the end of any Fortnite World Cup ambitions – although he is not currently qualified for the event – as well as threaten his Twitch channel, which currently has over 400,000 followers. FaZe Clan vs Tfue The revelation comes as another blow against FaZe Clan in the battle of public perception surrounding their ongoing legal dispute. The lawsuit primarily alleges that Tfue’s own contract is “oppressive”, with claims that FaZe Clan have the right to claim up to 80% of revenue from brand deals apparently proven correct after the contract was leaked. However, the lawsuit also attacks FaZe on a number of other fronts, including the signing of H1ghSky1 as well as allegedly jeopardizing the health, safety, and welfare of its members. FaZe and H1ghSky1 have yet to respond to the allegations. Dexerto has reached out to both parties for comment.

  • FaZe Fortnite Pro ‘Cloak’ Comments on KEEMSTAR’s Feud vs Epic Games – “Friday Fortnite Helps EVERYONE Out” – Dexerto

FaZe Fortnite Pro ‘Cloak’ Comments on KEEMSTAR’s Feud vs Epic Games – “Friday Fortnite Helps EVERYONE Out” Professional Fortnite player Brian ‘Cloak’ Lepore has offered his perspective on the recent spell of controversy involving the popular weekly ‘Friday Fortnite’ competition. The captain of FaZe Clan’s pro team spoke exclusively with Dexerto about Friday Fortnite creator Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem’s ongoing feud with Epic Games over tournament scheduling issues. KEEMSTAR’s clash with Epic Games came into the spotlight when reports surfaced that the Fortnite developers have scheduled a $500,000 ‘Summer Skirmish’ Solos tournament for July 19, the same day as Friday Fortnite. Having already put plans in place to move his competition to Sundays starting July 29, KEEM took offense at Epic’s inconsistent scheduling and ultimately announced that he will be hosting his tournament on the 19th, as planned. Read More: Friday Fortnite Set to Clash With Epic Games’ $500K Summer Skirmish Tournament as KEEMSTAR Hits Out on Twitter – Following the public start to the feud, we reached out to FaZe’s Cloak to get pick his brain on the situation, considering that he is a four-time winner of Friday Fortnite. Although he sympathized with both sides, Cloak admitted that Friday Fortnite is very important to the content creation community. “I mean its obvious epic doesn’t want anyone else running events at the time. Thus capping Keemstar’s friday fortnites at 20k, They know how much Friday fortnite means to content creators and pros currently. Since there isn’t any pro tournaments coming up until early 2019. We’re technically all content creators and Friday fortnite helps EVERYONE out ESPECIALLY us ‘pros.’” However, he also believes that Epic Games knows the value of Friday Fortnite and would not intentionally interfere with it. “Kinda sucks but I think it was someone who scheduled it completely wrong because it does seem that Epic watches Friday fortnite weekly.” Unfortunately, many of the big names in the community who have been invited to participate in both tournaments will have to make a difficult choice, at least for this week. With KEEMSTAR soon moving Friday Fortnite to Sundays, many players will have the luxury of competing in both, being in the running to win a lot of money.

  • FaZe EwOk slams Epic Games with perfect roast over the state of Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe EwOk slams Epic Games with perfect roast over the state of Fortnite Epic GamesProfessional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan, Soleil ‘EwOk’ Wheeler, has publicly criticized developers Epic Games over the current state of their immensely popular battle royale. EwOk hit the headlines of the gaming world back in July, when she became the first-ever female member of FaZe Clan. She was already well known to much of the Fortnite community, having made waves on Twitch as a deaf competitive player. On August 21 she lashed out at developers Epic Games, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the BRUTE mechs in Fortnite. After being added at the start of Season 10, the BRUTEs have been widely condemned as overpowered. Epic, however, argue they allow lesser-skilled players to achieve victory royales; an essential part of their ‘Fortnite philosophy’. EwOk hit out at the developers in a series of tweets, starting with a reply to fellow pro player ‘benjyfishy’. Benjy tweeted a video of him dying to a duo using a mech while in a solo tournament, another of the issues surrounding the game’s giant robots. “@FortniteGame Please do something I haven’t been able to do since birth,” she said. “Listen.” The Fortnite community backed EwOk’s tweet, with many applauding the young streamer for the strength of her criticism. @FortniteGame Please do something I haven’t been able to do since birth. Listen. — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) August 21, 2019 EwOk wasn’t done there, however. She followed up her original comments with another tweet to clarify that she “loves” both Epic Games and Fortnite, but feels there is a significant disconnect between the developers, the community and the competitive scene. Make no mistake I love @EpicGames and the @FortniteGame crew. Just that the gap between Epic Games and the Fortnite Community and the competitive scene – both need improvement. That’s why I am doing this. :love_you_gesture: — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) August 21, 2019 Finally, the young streamer criticized Epic over the latest addition to the battle royale: Junk Rifts. Added to the game with the v10.10 on August 20, Junk Rifts see a rift open up above where the item was called in, followed by a large item dropping from the sky, dealing damage and destroying objects in its path. However, EwOk lamented the lack of audio cues that accompany Junk Rifts, arguing they don’t provide players with enough time to move. “I died to junk rift instantly without knowing it was happening,” she said. “No visual sounds. Actually anybody doesn’t stand a chance against it.” I died to junk rift instantly without knowing it was happening. No visual sounds. Actually anybody doesn’t stand a chance against it. GGs. — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) August 22, 2019 In the same thread, she also said: “The entire point of gaming is that everyone has a chance, be able to defend against anything, and hopefully get equal RNG. This way the game is decided by skill, not luck… you (Epic Games) took these elements away from the game by putting in mechs and junk rifts.” EwOk joins a growing list of prominent community figures who are growing impatient with Epic – and frustrated with how unfair the mechs seem to be. On August 21 Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop refused to continue playing in the $400,000 ‘Twitch Rivals’ tournament, as a result of the mechs. While Epic has previously stood firm on the matter, the backlash seems to be reaching a volume where they can no longer stick their fingers in their ears and hope for it to go away.

  • FaZe EwOk roasts Epic Games again after BRUTE mech removal in Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe EwOk roasts Epic Games again after BRUTE mech removal in Fortnite Epic Games/Instagram: EwOkFNProfessional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan, Soleil ‘EwOk’ Wheeler, has roasted developers Epic Games (again), following the temporary removal of the BRUTE Mech robot from the game. BRUTEs were added to Fortnite with the start of Season X, but have been a constant source of controversy. Despite their eventual nerf, many players maintain that they should be completely removed from the game. On August 30, Epic announced that BRUTEs had been temporarily removed due to an issue with their stomp mechanic. While we will almost certainly see them return once the issue is resolved, many fans took the opportunity to state that they should be permanently removed. One prominent member of the Fortnite community who has hit out at Epic over the BRUTEs in the past is FaZe Clan’s EwOk, who became the org’s first female member back in July. She has also inspired many by being a professional player, despite being deaf. In response to the announcement of the BRUTEs temporary removal, EwOk responded that “Great, now Mechs isn’t (aren’t) the only one that’s disabled.” Fans have commended EwOk in the past for her strong criticism of Epic Games, and were quick to do so again. While community complaints have certainly died down since the BRUTEs were nerfed, many people argue that they simply should not be in the game as a result of the boost they hand less-skilled players. EwOk previously mocked Epic by asking them to “do something I haven’t been able to do since birth. Listen.” @FortniteGame Please do something I haven’t been able to do since birth. Listen. — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) August 21, 2019 She was one of many who voiced a desire for the robots to be nerfed, but shows she still has opinions on their place in Fortnite. EwOk continues to be an inspiration in the gaming community thanks to her impressive gaming abilities and her refusal to let a disability hold her back. We can expect to see far more of her in the near future.

  • FaZe duo Tfue and Cloak pull out of ESL Fortnite Katowice Royale due to low prize money – Dexerto

FaZe duo Tfue and Cloak pull out of ESL Fortnite Katowice Royale due to low prize money Fortnite Royale tournament set to kick off in Katowice, Poland on Friday, March 1. The pair were among the biggest names set to compete at the $500,000 tournament, but it appears that two of the biggest names in competitive Fortnite will be absent when the tournament kicks off. First stated by Lepore, the pair appear to have turned down the opportunity to travel to Poland, citing the prize money as a factor in their decision not to go. While streaming on Monday, February 18 with Jack ‘CouRageJD’ Dunlop, Tim ‘Timthetatman’ Betar and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, Cloak revealed the news while the squad discussed the possibility of giving up competing in favor of streaming where players could earn more money. While NICKMERCS said that he loved competing, and spoke about the prize money for the event, Cloak simply said: “Me and Turner aren’t going to Poland because of it.” This was seemingly confirmed on Wednesday, February 20 when viewers of Tenney’s stream claimed that the Fortnite star had said they wouldn’t be there, stating he had “shit to do,” and again referenced the prize money, saying: “Not to be a dick, but what’s $30,000 to me?” For competitive players who also stream, the decision to attend events is becoming more difficult, especially if you are a star on Twitch. Taking time away from your channel to fly off to competitions can often mean you lose subscribers to your channel, costing players money, especially if you don’t place highly at the event. While it seems that Turner and Lepore won’t be there, some of Fortnite’s biggest stars will still be at the ESL Katowice Royale, which is split into two events, with a Polish-only event on February 23 and 24, while the international event starts on March 1. You can make sure you don’t miss any of the action using our handy ESL Katowice Royale Fortnite tournament viewing hub. Epic Games are yet to comment on the news that Tfue and Cloak don’t intend on attending Katowice, but it will be interesting if the pair do fail to show up, and whether Epic decide to find replacements for them.

  • FaZe EwOk baits Mizkif into cheeky troll with Fortnite chapter 2 mechanic – Dexerto

FaZe EwOk baits Mizkif into cheeky troll with Fortnite chapter 2 mechanic @EwOkFN (Instagram)/Mizkif (Twitch)FaZe Clan Twitch streamer Soleil ‘EwOk’ Wheeler has found her groove in Fortnite: Chapter 2, even managing to troll long-time supporter and friend Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo on-stream. Fortnite’s second iteration is in full-swing and players are basking in the new map, cosmetics, and brand new additions to the franchise – including the integration of water throughout the newfangled map. Popular streamer EwOk is one of many to revel in Epic Games’ fresh take on their staple battle royale. The 14-year-old has taken to her Twitch channel to broadcast the game, linking up with long-time duo Mizkif. Mizkif and EwOk’s friendship dates back to when the ‘Just Chatting’ streamer initially recognized Wheeler for her incredible Fortnite abilities. Rinaudo raided the teenager’s stream back in March, which kickstarted a whirlwind six months for the first-ever female FaZe member. The pair collaborated in a recent broadcast, which saw EwOk showing Mizkif the ropes of the new battle royale island. While the two were exploring the new surroundings, Wheeler took the opportunity to hilariously troll her counterpart. Capitalizing on EwOk’s shrewd knack to build, Rinaudo promptly followed the FaZe member to the top, before she destroyed the platform from beneath his feet, seeing him plummet to his death. “What are you doing?!” asked a puzzled Mizkif, before he took a nosedive from up high. Now downed, EwOk carefully proceeded to make her way down. Still with unfinished business, Wheeler decided to jest with Mizkif some more, by throwing him in the ocean and building around him to slow his return to land. “Hey, I can’t swim!” yelled Rinaudo, before reviving her teammate. Of course those watching lapped up EwOk’s efforts, as they proceeded to spam “LULW” in chat to indicate the frivolity of the situation. Indeed, it appears that the duo enjoyed each other’s company during their Fortnite escapade; even if Mizkif came off worse than expected.

  • FaZe Dubs breaks silence after Fortnite 30-day ban for teaming – Dexerto

FaZe Dubs breaks silence after Fortnite 30-day ban for teaming YouTube: FaZe ClanFaZe Clan Fortnite pro Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh has broken his silence after being handed down a 30-day ban in Fortnite after colluding in a Solo Cash Cup. He has defended his strategies and called the decision “frustrating.” Dubs has once again had his competitive Fortnite career put under the microscope. The FaZe Clan player has now been suspended for 30 days for colluding after an incident in May 1’s Solo Cash Cup. Epic determined that he partnered up with ‘Waffles’ in the Solos event to take down other players who landed at their POI. After a few days of silence, Dubs has come out to confirm the suspension, and defend his actions. Related: Four Fortnite pros banned for teaming in FNCS Booting up his stream with ‘Cbass’, Dubs went out to clear his name and explain the actions that led to his ban. He denies any claims that he teamed, and that the videos people posted about him and Waffles were lacking context. He described his own strategies and how his approach to every game — scrims, public lobbies, or tournaments — for the last two months has revolved around the Rig. “I’ve been landing here [at the Rig] and doing this exact loot path for two months, just scrimming,” he said. “I land the same building every game, do the same loot path, same rotations, every game. I scout for Tina, get the key card, and go to the Vault.” He also defended the actions of Waffles. While the two are reportedly close friends and have duo’d in the Duos Cash Cup in the past, he described his strategy of hiding as “smart.” “Waffles never once shoots at me or tries to push me or anything,” he said. “I would honestly play it like he’s playing. I would sit and farm, and wait until the person left the vault and left it looted because I know there’s going to be extra loot. This is a strat.” “I don’t fight off spawn unless I fight for the keycard or if someone is in my way doing something. Literally every pro knows that it’s not smart to fight off spawn.” He also pointed out that Waffles eventually changed his drop location once the Rig became too contested, instead dropping down more inland. While Dubs has accepted the ban, he was disappointed with the decision. “I’m not trying to bash Epic or anything like that, it’s just frustrating.” Dubs’ 30-day ban is shorter than the 60-day ban handed down to Bucke, Kreo, Keys, and Slackes for their teaming offences during the FNCS Duos event. Dubs’ suspension will be lifted on June 3, unless Epic has a change of heart.

  • FaZe Cloak’s thoughts on controversial glider redeploy and the state of Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Cloak’s thoughts on controversial glider redeploy and the state of Fortnite Professional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore has given his thoughts on the ‘current state’ of the game, since the significant glider redeploy change. The decision to allow players to redeploy their glider at any time during a match, when jumping from a certain height, has been a contentious one to say the least. The community, led by the big streamers and YouTubers, have been debating whether it improves the flow and balance of the game, or worsens it, as players are no longer penalized for building high and simply jumping, with their glider, to get down. Cloak, who won the grand finals of the Fall Skirmish along with FaZe teammate Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, is widely considered one of the best players in the world, with multiple tournament wins making he and Tfue the number 1 and 2 in total winnings. His opinion, particularly for competitive play, is valued above most, so when he gave his thoughts on the glider redeploy change, the competitive community’s ears perked up. Surprisingly to some, Cloak states that “[Fortnite] is in the best state it has ever been in, in my opinion, for competitive-wise. Yes, it can improve, don’t know how, but it can.” He continues to say that although it can still improve, he believes improvements are being made “in the right direction”. Other top players seem to share Cloak’s opinion too, such as TSM player Ali “Myth” Kabbani, who said he thought the glider redeploy was “one of the better additions” to the game. Marksman, a streamer and pro player, thinks that changes could be made to the redeploy system to improve it, including limiting the number of times it can be done per match.

  • FaZe Dubs accused of cheating in Fortnite Solo Cash Cup – Dexerto

FaZe Dubs accused of cheating in Fortnite Solo Cash Cup YouTube: DubsFortnite pro for FaZe Clan Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh has again found himself in the limelight for the wrong reasons, this time being accused of teaming with Duos Cup partner ‘Waffles’ in a Solo Cash Cup over the weekend. Dubs has found himself in hot water again, this time over accusations of cheating in the Fortnite Solo Cash Cup. Numerous players have alleged the FaZe Clan Fortnite pro partnered up with duo partner ‘Waffles’ to ensure they got a better position in the tournament. Related: Four Fortnite pros banned for cheating in FNCS During the Solo Cash Cup, the pair both dropped on Rig in all six games. However, they never fought each other, instead killing other people who dropped there. They also reportedly shared vault loot together, and did a 3-2-1 countdown to beam someone on the mainland in one game. “Waffles and Dubs land Rig together [every game] and don’t fight a single time, yet fight anyone else who lands there,” Leaffr said. “They also rotate closely behind each other every single game.” Dubs and Waffles placed 7th and 8th in the Solo Cash Cup on May 1, with 112 and 107 points respectively. However, their names have since been wiped off the unofficial Fortnite Tracker results. Epic are yet to comment on the situation. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 2:39. Leaffr took down the video shortly after it went viral, although by then it had quickly circulated around the Fortnite community. They asked that people “watch the replays [themselves] and decide if what [Dubs was] doing is wrong,” before remarking about the poor state of solos. “This just shows how bad solos are at this time, and how predetermined loot paths and POI sharing can cause hard-to-prove teaming that makes the game in a way unfair,” they said. It isn’t the first time Waffles has been reprimanded for teaming at Rig with someone. In practice scrim servers, Waffles has previously been handed suspensions for teaming with various other players. https://twitter.com/Leaffr/status/1256816668921249792 Teaming is banned under the FNCS ruleset, which typically applies to other in-game events like Cash Cups. Section 8.2.2 states “players may not work together to deceive or otherwise cheat other players during any match…[including] working together during the match while on opposing teams.” It comes after two high-profile teaming cases plagued the recent FNCS Duos season. Keys, Slackes, Bucke, and Kreo were handed down 60-day suspensions from Epic after being caught teaming, while three players on console were kicked from their organization for doing the same thing. We will update this piece as more information is released.

  • FaZe Cloak blasts Epic Games for awful Fortnite World Cup scheduling – Dexerto

FaZe Cloak blasts Epic Games for awful Fortnite World Cup scheduling Instagram: Cloak/Epic GamesProfessional Fortnite Battle Royale player Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore has criticized developers Epic Games over their scheduling of the World Cup, as he strives to qualify in both solos and duos. Cloak is a very talented player, known for his duo partnership with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, the ex-FaZe Clan star currently embroiled in a legal battle against the organization. The players are still close though, as Cloak has allowed Tfue to move in with him until the situation is resolved. However, while Tfue has qualified (twice) for the World Cup’s Solos, Cloak is yet to qualify either as a Solo, or as a Duo with Tfue. On June 1, he tweeted his disappointment in Epic Games over their scheduling. “Just found out E3 pro-am tourney is during the last duo week WC qualifier? Whose bright idea was that LOL @EpicGames,” he tweeted. It’s clear Cloak feels the clash in scheduling will have an adverse effect on his and Tfue’s chances of qualifying – an issue other duos might not have if they’re not participating in the E3 tournament. Cloak is playing with DJ Dillon Francis at the pro-am, while other influencers like Dr Lupo, CouRage and Pokimane also participate with celebrity partners. Just found out E3 pro-am tourney is during the last duo week WC qualifier? Whose bright idea was that LOL @EpicGames — Creator code: cloakzy (@cloakzy) June 2, 2019 Twitter users had a mixed response to Cloak’s complaints, with one suggesting that they simply “don’t play in the Pro AM?” However, NRG Esports professional Svennoss tweeted his agreement with Lepore, saying that “it just keeps happening, unbelievable”. Tfue has not commented publicly on the scheduling, and Epic Games have not yet announced any changes to the schedule, or responded to Cloak’s tweet.

  • FaZe Cloak, 72hrs and Chap criticize Fortnite World Cup qualification format – Dexerto

FaZe Cloak, 72hrs and Chap criticize Fortnite World Cup qualification format Fortnite pro players, including FaZe Clan’s Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore and Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo and Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan, have criticized the format for qualification to the $30,000,000 Fortnite World Cup. Epic Games officially announced how players can earn their spot at the Fortnite World Cup on Monday, March 25, breaking down the various online tournaments that players will need to perform well in to secure their place at the major event in New York City. Players will take part in Arena Mode, a new ranked playlist being introduced in the V8.20 update to earn their spot in the Online Open, a tournament held over Saturday and Sunday, with the top players from each region earning their spot at the major tournament in New York City. With qualification taking place online, Fortnite pros have voiced their displeasure at the qualification format, stating that the online events can end up being unfair, and stating that previous events had better formats. Cloak was frustrated with the quality of player that he and long-time duo Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney faced off against, tweeting: “Online qualifiers are dumb. Tfue and I had six out of 10 lobbies with no pro players in them, yet 72hrs and Vivid played 10 with almost a full lobby of pro players in each game.” “I feel like their missing step,” replied Mulligan. “Customs with qualifiers. But whatever, time to play some fun games.” LMAOOO.. I feel like they’re missing a step (customs with qualifiers) but w.e time to play some fun games :sunglasses::yes: pic.twitter.com/aICqZIU201 — Tom 72hrs (@72hrs) March 25, 2019 Chaplo was also unimpressed with the announcement, tweeting that he felt the Fortnite Winter Royale “had an infinitely superior qualifying system.” The Winter Royale qualifiers took place over one weekend, split into a number of sessions in which players attempted to earn points from placement and eliminations, with the top 200 players from each region securing a spot in the Finals. While some pro players are unhappy with the format, it’s unlikely that Epic Games will make any changes to it now that it has been officially announced. The developers believe that this system gives everyone an equal platform to compete and seal a spot in New York City, with plenty of opportunities to qualify throughout the 10 week event.

  • FaZe Cloak explains why Epic Games have their priorities all wrong – Dexerto

FaZe Cloak explains why Epic Games have their priorities all wrong FaZe Clan’s Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore has criticized Fortnite Battle Royale developer after they released a patch almost instantly which prevented players from changing their field of view while many game breaking bugs remain unsolved. The vast majority of the top professional players have used stretched resolution from the game’s inception to allow them to view more of their surroundings while in-game, and make enemy character models appear wider. However, Epic recently implemented a ban, forcing players to use native resolution, ahead of the Fortnite World Cup which caused outrage in the competitive community who were forced to quickly adapt to the new view. Players were able to discover a method of altering your field of view by modifying the game files, suggesting that Epic are capable of meeting the demands of pro players, and the new resolution was praised by FaZe Cloak. “It looks great [the new resolution],” he said. “And it’s 1920!” However, developers were quick to announce on Discord that players would not be allowed to use the exploit during the World Cup qualifiers and the method was eventually patched after just 30 minutes causing Cloak to express his frustrations. FaZe Cloak criticizes the timing of Fortnite patches Cloak highlighted the fact that Epic were quick to patch an issue that shouldn’t even be considered a problem while many game breaking bugs have taken months to fix. He said: “This was fixed in 30 minutes. How is that fixed in 30 minutes and other bugs in the game take months?!” It remains to be seen whether Epic will add a field of view slider that is commonly seen in the majority of battle royale games and is considered a necessity by most due to the complexity of the building mechanic. However, there have been no plans to revert any of the latest controversial changes meaning players could be forced on native resolution for the foreseeable future.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue praises Epic Games for Fortnite vaults in V7.30 update – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue praises Epic Games for Fortnite vaults in V7.30 update The winningest Fortnite player, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, isn’t always positive when it comes to the developer’s gameplay-changing decisions, but has praised Epic Games following the V7.30 update. Headlining the update, which dropped on January 29, were a series of weapons being ‘vaulted’, and one controversial weapon being ‘unvaulted’. Most surprising was the decision to banish the classic bolt action sniper to the vault, a weapon which has been in play since the inception of the battle royale mode. Removing this weapon would have been more of a shock if it hadn’t been for the addition of a suppressed variant in a previous update, but it still saddened some in the community. Tfue though, was not one of them. Reacting to the V7.30 patch notes, the popular streamer thanked Epic for the changes, the bolt action sniper particularly. He was even more jubilant at the ‘unvaulting’ of the Suppressed SMG, explaining “This is fucking hype! The Suppressed SMG is so good, it’s always been so much better than the SMG […] I don’t care what anyone says.” Not everyone echoed Tfue’s sentiments though, far from it in fact. Much of the community mourned the loss of the bolt action, and although vaulted weapons sometimes do make a return (Suppressed SMG as case and point), they are often never to be seen again. 100 Thieves pro Archie ‘Parallax’ Shrader called the decision to vault the bolt action outright “stupid”, and other big names including FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz and Jaomock appeared equally shocked at the new weapons relegated to the vault.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue points to Ninja’s success as he explains why he’s leaving LA – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue points to Ninja’s success as he explains why he’s leaving LA Popular streamer and one of the best professional Fortnite players, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has announce that he plans to leave Los Angeles and the west coast, inspired by the success of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. With over 12 million followers on Twitch, Ninja is comfortably the biggest channel of the platform, but Tfue is quickly growing too, about to cross 4 million followers himself. However, he is finding living in LA to be problematic, both for internet issues while playing Fortnite and streaming, as well as the lifestyle it encourages. He says that LA is “dope”, but only if he’s not trying to stream, and all he wants to do is stream, so he needs to be on the east coast, explaining that it makes a big difference. Explaining his decision to leave, he explains that many popular YouTubers and Twitch streamers move to LA, then become distracted by the city, partying and even drug culture, and eventually “end up washed up”. But, he gives Ninja as an example of someone who has avoided those pitfalls by in a sense secluding himself: “He’s away from everything, it’s just him and his wife, and he’s just on the grind.” Tfue is expected to move back out to the east coast with his FaZe Clan teammate Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, writing on Twitter “LA is no place for me – headed back to the east coast for a while.” Fortnite players living on the west coast of the USA have complained frequently about worse connections to servers and higher ping, so Tfue’s Fortnite game might even get better too, if that’s even possible.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue is not impressed by Fortnite’s new tournament mode – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue is not impressed by Fortnite’s new tournament mode Professional Fortnite player and FaZe Clan member Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney tried out the new in-game ‘tournament’ mode recently, but the pro player was not impressed whatsoever. Tournament mode is the latest playlist addition to Fortnite, challenging players to various different competitive matches in Solos, Duos and Squads. It allows aspiring competitive players an opportunity to try their hand at something a little more serious than regular matches, and doesn’t force the use of third party websites, running tournaments or wager matches of their own. However, Tfue doesn’t think that Epic Games have executed the system as well as they could have, calling the on-going solo mode “shit”. Currently, the only option available is the ‘Alpha’ tournament, which is a solo based game type which runs from October 16 – October 21. But, when a viewer sarcastically commented on how entertaining it was, Tfue said “yeh, this tournament fucking sucks dude. It’s not really fun to watch, it’s definitely not fun to play. It’s basically just shit.” There is still a lot of other tournaments to come, with the first Duos event starting on October 23, called the ‘Bets’ tournament. There will also be the first iteration of Friday Night Fortnite on October 19, which will be a squad tournament ran every week. But, with not a great deal to play for currently, for someone like Tfue specifically these tournament game types may not have enough flair, especially when streaming to tens of thousands of people.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue backs concept emote of one of his sickest Fortnite moments – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue backs concept emote of one of his sickest Fortnite moments Tfue / FaZe ClanFaZe Clan pro Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is known for his incredible skill, great accuracy and smarts, but one of his sickest moments, was when he was literally sick, mid tournament. Back in the second week of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, Tfue was suffering from an illness and had to throw up mid stream, and then went on to win the tournament In homage to this memorable moment, a creative fan has designed an in-game emote using the ‘Jonesy’ default skin – which looks like Tfue, if he was a Fortnite character. The emote concept was posted to Twitter and caught the attention of Tfue, who shared it to his own followers, perhaps in the hope that Epic Games themselves might see. The creator of the concept, @dosentine, is a designer and video game fan, who in the past has done other work for content creators. This one sees the Jonesy skin throwing up into a bucket, just like his doppleganger Tfue did recently during the Fall Skirmish – although thankfully Dosentine has spared us the sound and visual elements. @FortniteGame should jump on the “”T-Flue”” emote… bet! @TTfue pic.twitter.com/l0wrLAKFOF — Dosentine (@dosentine) October 16, 2018 Whether or not Epic would actually add such an emote, isn’t that far of a stretch, considering they have in the past added specific items at the behest of top Fortnite personalities. Earlier in 2018, they added the ‘Plunja’ pick axe, an item inspired by a toilet plunger, after top Fortnite streamer Ninja had jokingly requested it. Epic Games is also running their ‘Support-A-Creator‘ promotion currently, which proves that they recognize how important these popular Fortnite YouTubers and streamers are for the continued success of the game.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue explains the best Fortnite weapon loadout – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue explains the best Fortnite weapon loadout FaZe Clan pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is considered by many to be the very best Fortnite player, and so you can imagine his shock when fellow pro players disagreed with him on the best weapon loadout to use. In Fortnite, players can carry up to five weapons, but typically need to leave at least two of these five slots for healing resources and equipment. This means that being very particular about what weapons you carry is crucial to becoming a top player such as Tfue, and the FaZe pro is very strict about what weapons he will carry in a competitive setting. Fortnite’s Heavy AR is a must have, Tfue says. When playing with other pro players, Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap‘ Chaplo and FaZe teammates Nate Hill and Jason ‘Tennp0‘ Wang, Tfue was surprised to learn that they didn’t all agree with him on the optimum loadout. While the others argued that carrying two assault rifles – a Heavy AR and a Scar – as well as a shotgun, Tfue thought it was outright stupid. “Wait, you rock an AK and a Scar? Alright, my bad, I thought you were smart. You’re tripping, you need a shotgun and an AR, that’s it. The only time you carry an SMG in a tournament is if you don’t have loot.” Via twitch.tv/tfue The Heavy AR (AK) is of course very powerful, but comes with the drawback of a much slower fire rate, while a Scar is slightly less powerful, it’s also slightly faster at unloading a clip. Aspiring Fortnite pros should definitely be heeding the advice of these top players, but when they can’t even decide among themselves what the “meta” is, it probably still means it’s good to experiment with what combinations suit you best.

FaZe Clan’s ‘Tfue’ and ‘Cloak’ Win the KEEMSTAR $20K ‘Friday Fortnite’ #9 Celebrity Tournament – Recap and Final Placements (L/R) Cloakzy | KEEMSTARFaZe Clan professional Fortnite players Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore have won the ninth running of the KEEMSTAR ‘Friday Fortnite’ celebrity tournament. The pair beat out the TeamSolomid pro duo of Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani and Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin to secure the $10,000 grand prize and win the competition for an unprecedented fourth time. Having already beat Myth and Hamlinz in the Winners Bracket finals, Tfue and Cloak needed to win only one match in the Grand Final, whereas their opponents needed two. The first match started off quickly in FaZe’s favor, as they managed to grab a 23-12 elimination lead after the first game. The 11 kill deficit proved to be too steep to overcome for TSM as a rather evenly played second game allowed the FaZe boys to maintain their lead and secure the championship. The pair beat out Team SoloMid’s ‘Daequan’ and ‘CaMiLLs’ to secure the whopping $10,000 grand prize and become the first two players in Friday Fortnite’s brief history to win the competition twice. Having already beaten the TSM players to win the Winners Bracket, Tfue and Cloak needed to only win one match in the Grand Final to secure the championship, whereas Daequan and CaMiLLs needed to win two. In the first match, TSM’s strong start allowed them to win easily, as their eight kill advantage was more than enough to reset the bracket and force a second match. However, the FaZe players were able to bounce back in a big way in Match Two as they built a large lead early on and did not really allow TSM to get close throughout. The second match ended up finishing as a blowout, giving Tfue and Cloak their second Friday Fortnite championship. Despite TSM’s loss, this was already the org’s third appearance in a Grand Final. Daequan and ‘Hamlinz’ lost in Week Two, while ‘Myth’ and Hamlinz were able to get their championship in Week Four. FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak Win NerdOut’s $20K Anything Goes Fortnite Tournament – Recap and Final Placements @TTfueFaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore have continued their impressive run of form by winning NerdOut’s $20,000 Anything Goes Fortnite tournament. NerdIOut is best known for being a collaborative YouTube music channel but has recently started hosting Fortnite tournaments as the incredibly popular game continues to permeate just about every access of society. Much like Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem’s Friday Fortnite tournaments, NerdOut’s Anything Goes events are played online as pairs of players go head to head to see who can pick up the most total kills. One pairing that has been performing particularly well in recent tournaments is Tfue and Cloak. The FaZe players seems to win, or come close to winning, just about anything that they enter of late and they show no sign of slowing down. After winning the ninth installment of KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite tournament on July 6th with an impressive win over TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani and Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin, Tfue and Cloak turned their attention to the Nerdout Anything Goes event on July 8th. • FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak Complain About the Struggle of Fortnite Pro Scrims With No Custom Matches – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak Complain About the Struggle of Fortnite Pro Scrims With No Custom Matches Professional Fortnite players and streamers Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore made their feelings clear about the difficult of pro ‘scrims’ for top players. Currently, private or ‘custom’ lobbies are not available in Fortnite matchmaking, meaning that in order for competitive players to scrim against one another, they must come up with their own methods. The system currently used is to have all the players arrange to search for a game at the exact same time, and hope that they land in the same lobby as one another. Typically around 20-30 duos will search for a game, and should all or the majority land in the same lobby (which they can identify from the server code), the scrim goes ahead. However, occasionally some of the players who failed to make it into the lobby will demand a full ‘reset’ or restart, meaning all players leave and search again. But Tfue and Cloak are growing tired of this inefficient system. “These people are so dumb dude. There will be like two stacked lobbies, and people that aren’t in lobbies will be like ‘oh, full reset’. Like shut the fuck up. So annoying. We should not ever restart. There shouldn’t even be restarts honestly. We just got two stacked lobbies and now we’re not even playing.” This system is the best possible method which these competitive players have currently, due to the absence of private, custom lobbies. Epic Games has been working on developing private lobbies, which have so far only been used and tested for the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament at E3 and the first week of the Summer Skirmish series. However, lag issues plagued the Summer Skirmish, so it is clear that the custom matchmaking system is still in need of work. With the competitive season underway, and $100 million in prize money pledged for tournaments, both online and off, the need for private lobbies is becoming more and more of a necessity.

  • FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill responds to cheating accusations in Fortnite Fall Skirmish – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill responds to cheating accusations in Fortnite Fall Skirmish Professional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan, Nate Hill, found himself in a spot of controversy after week 1 of the Fall Skirmish, being accused of cheating by having callouts given to him by a teammate. The incident occurred as Nate Hill was playing by himself with his partner FunkBomb already eliminated, who was watching the official Fortnite stream (which had no delay). By watching the official stream, FunkBomb was able to give Nate callouts on enemy positions, giving him a significant advantage in the match. After FunkBomb had been eliminated in the match himself, the instructions from tournament organizers were apparently to leave the match immediately, to help with server lag. More: TSM HighDistortion calls 100 Thieves’ Kenith a “scumbag” for bad sportsmanship during Fall Skirmish Fortnite tournament – However, some viewers accused FunkBomb of leaving the game in order to go watch the stream with no delay, in a deliberate attempt to give his teammate an unfair advantage. You can watch the moment when FunkBomb gives a callout below, before shortly after saying “I feel like this is cheating”, and then makes no further callouts. Nate Hill has now responded to the accusations in a Reddit post, sharing it to Twitter with the message: “I try to inspire people every day to follow their dreams and become better people. I am deeply saddened by the events that took place yesterday. Here are my thoughts about it:” “I wanted to touch base with the community on the events of last nights Skirmish. I took the night to think about it because the one post I responded too on the main sub was filled with hate, but I think I have gathered my thoughts at this point and am open to discussion. For those who don’t know (I doubt that’s many at this point) during last nights stream FunkBomb died before me in one of our matches. Upon dying he did as Epic directed and left the game to prevent lag and tuned into the main stream. Once he got to the main stream he realized there was no delay and in a moment of poor judgement he called out DMO’s health to me. We both realize the impact this could have had on the integrity of the competition and were fortunate to not have it do so. Funk made a mistake and he owns up to it, but those calling for him to be perma-banned and calling him a scumbag couldn’t be more misinformed. It was a mistake made by an otherwise great guy/player. He felt bad before anyone caught him cheating and self Reported to Epic. That is not the trait of a scumbag, that is someone being honest forthcoming and owning up to their mistakes. I too made a mistake in deleting the initial clip of Funk’s callout. At the time last night there was so much vitriol and hate being directed at my friend I just wanted to mitigate it however I could. In hindsight I know you cant stop the internet hate train and should have just let it be. However for those saying I deleted the VOD it is still on my channel and I think the whole context of the situation is important. The incident happens at 1hr39m. Funk clearly makes the call out, but realizes what he just did may be cheating and goes completely radio silent after the fact. It was a mistake and a big one at that, but I hope others realize it wasn’t malicious and out of character for Funk. Everyone makes mistakes, just not always in front of thousands of people. I think we will both learn and grow from this. Both Funk and I have apologized to others behind the scenes, but I on behalf of both of us want to apologize to the community. This is not what either of us represents and we will try to be the best people and players we can be moving forward. I am not a cheater, and ive given my life to this game and the community around it. -Nate” The clip was initially posted to the Competitive Fortnite subreddit, but Nate Hill delated it initially, giving this explanation: “Deleted the CLIP because it was just being used a fuel for toxicity, the vod still exists if you care to watch how the call out made 0 impact in my gameplay. Obviously my partner made a very dumb mistake to call out someone’s health on a no delay stream and were very sorry for the mistake. He didn’t leave the game to cheat, he left because they make you leave to help server lag. Then watched the stream and without thinking started making a call out. And by the time I realized what he actually just said. Ignored the guy he called because in no way were we trying to cheat. Sorry for the mistake.” Nate’s teammate, FunkBomb, also took to Twitter to apologize for the incident, explaining his side of things. He says he takes full responsibility for the mistake, and realize that it potentially hurt the integrity of the tournament. I want to apologize about my actions in the skirmish today. During one of the matches, I was dead and spectating the fortnite stream. I called out Dmo’s health and position to my partner not fully realizing there was zero delay on the main stream. I quickly noticed my mistake and — FunkBomb (@FunkBomb_) September 22, 2018 I especially apologize to @zzdmo, EPIC games, and my fans. I take full responsibilty for any repercussions that come my way. This is truly was a mistake, this is not who I am. — FunkBomb (@FunkBomb_) September 22, 2018 Epic Games nor FaZe Clan have commented publicly on the incident, at the time of writing.

  • Nate Hill and FunkBomb punished by Epic Games for Fortnite Fall Skirmish cheating incident – Dexerto

Nate Hill and FunkBomb punished by Epic Games for Fortnite Fall Skirmish cheating incident Nate HillFaZe Clan’s Nate Hill has been suspended from Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish series and FunkBomb has been kicked from the competition entirely following the recent cheating incident. The news was announced on stream by Nate Hill on September 24 when he read out an email that he had received from Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite. The players made headlines during the latest installment of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish tournament when FunkBomb, who was already dead, decided to watch the stream of the game and give information to his teammate. Both players were quick to realize that what they were doing was wrong, and both apologized shortly after the incident, but Epic Games appear to be making an example of them in order to prevent other players from repeating their mistake. “As the teammate and beneficiary, I’ll be suspended immediately from participating in all the Skirmish trials and Skirmishes until conclusion of suspension, October 11,” Nate Hill explained to his stream. “Still a member of Dusty Dogs club and will remain eligible for club prizing,” he continued. While the suspension is sure to hit Nate hard, it is nothing compared to the punishment that FunkBomb has received. “Funk is kicked out of Dusty Dogs, effective immediately, will not be eligible for club prizing,” the FaZe player explained as he continued to read the email. The only silver lining for FunkBomb came in the final lines of the email. “He can go to TwitchCon and playing the TwitchCon tournament,” Nate explained. Shortly after getting the news, Nate stated “it’s only two weeks but I didn’t fucking do anything, bro. I didn’t fucking do anything, dude. Like, I’m not gonna argue with the rule, obviously Funk fucked up.” While Epic Games have classed Nate as the “beneficiary” of FunkBomb’s cheating, the FaZe player and many of his fans believe that the fact that he didn’t encourage it or ask for it should have been enough for him to escape any serious punishment. The Dusty Dogs Club is one of the five clubs introduced by Epic Games for the start of the Fall Skirmish. Players are split into these clubs and earn points for both themselves and their club during tournaments. It is currently uncertain whether FunkBomb will be banned from all online competitions or whether his suspension will be lifted after the conclusion of the Fall Skirmish.

  • FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill has a solution to competitive Fortnite’s ‘heal off’ problem – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill has a solution to competitive Fortnite’s ‘heal off’ problem FaZe Clan member Nate Hill has come up with an idea that may solve the continuous “heal offs” we see at the end of competitive Fortnite matches. A “heal off” is when players who have made it to the final circle in a match use bandages and medkits continuously while the circle closes in around them. Both players hide in the storm, hoping that they have more healing items than the other, attempting to outlast their opponent rather than challenge them. These battles can often last for a while, and with no real action going on while both players turtle, can be boring for viewers and players alike. Nate Hill believes he has come up with a solution that Fortnite could implement to put an end to these dull endings. The American suggests changing the final circle of the game so that it deals three points of damage instead of one, and also disable healing so players are forced to forget about their bandages and medkits. The storm dealing more damage would leave players with a maximum of 38 seconds to work with as they try and earn that Victory Royale, meaning they would be forced to play aggressively to secure the final kills. What if to negate heal off endings , the last closing circle deals 3 damage per second and completely disables healing. Theoretically giving 33 seconds to fight to the death. If a tie were to occur, kills break the tie. Incentivizing fights  — Nate Hill (@NateHillTV) October 12, 2018 Hill has also considered what would happen if the final players were to both fall to the storm at once, suggesting that the victory should be awarded to the player who finishes with the most kills. Unfortunately, this is just a suggestion put forward by Nate Hill, and there are no guarantees that Epic Games would ever make these changes to Fortnite.

  • FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill Gets Pickaxe Bug in Fortnite Summer Skirmish During Crucial 1v1 – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill Gets Pickaxe Bug in Fortnite Summer Skirmish During Crucial 1v1 FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill may have walked away with $120,000 for his 4th place finish at the PAX West Summer Skirmish – but it could have been more had he not experienced this glitch at a crucial moment. The newest member of FaZe Clan’s Fortnite roster, Nate Hill didn’t disappoint in his first outing under the the FaZe banner. With so much top talent competing in the final week of the Summer Skirmish series, just making it to the final day of matches was a big achievement in itself. More: Ninja Pulled More Viewers for His Summer Skirmish Finals Stream Than the Official Broadcast and Epic Games Loved It – But Nate went a few better than that, putting in solid performances in all the final day matches, even securing a second place in one. However, the ending of the match was marred by the common pickaxe bug, which causes the pickaxe to be useless immediately after killing an enemy. The body of a recently slain opponent glitches, causing the pickaxe to repeatedly do no damage to structures, instead making the sound as if it were hitting a player. Nate was visibly angered by the glitch occurring at that crucial moment, but in fairness, he had very little chance of actually winning the match from that position. If he had shot the build below him sooner, he still likely would have fallen to his death, and his opponent, Lanjok, who had more health would have outlived him in the storm. • FaZe Clan’s Jaomock reveals why he’s a fan of planes in competitive Fortnite – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Jaomock reveals why he’s a fan of planes in competitive Fortnite Most Fortnite pros quickly grew tired of the X-4 Stormwing for various reasons, but it looks like not everyone is having a bad time, with one player even going as far as being a fan of them. The X-4 Stormwing was added to Fortnite at the start of Season 7 on December 6 and despite players having fun initially, it didn’t take long for most to sour on the new vehicles. Even in the face of widespread backlash, however, FaZe Clan’s ‘Jaomock’ has revealed why he doesn’t have a huge problem with them being in the game. Jaomock ignited much discussion on January 1 by declaring his opinion on Twitter, saying that he’s “a fan of planes being in competitive Fortnite,” albeit with some much-needed nerfs. Don’t hate me, but I’m a fan of planes being in competitive Fortnite (aslong as they got some sort of nerf). — FaZe Jaomock (@Jaomock) January 1, 2019 With many seemingly disagreeing with Jaomock’s position, he decided to try and explain things a bit more in the replies. When asked what the reasoning behind the decision was, Jaomock replied saying that “it takes away from there being a HUGE cluster fuck of people mid game [with] lag” and even going as far as saying that those who take planes will “be way less looted [than] most who were already on the ground.” It takes away from there being a HUGE cluster fuck of people mid game w/ lag. There’s pros n cons to having the planes. When you get shot out, chances are you’ll be way less looted then most who were already on the ground (unless you get disgustingly bad circle RNG). — FaZe Jaomock (@Jaomock) January 1, 2019 Despite his overall feelings of being okay with the planes, however, Jaomock does admit in multiple replies that they ultimately need a nerf of some sort. While Epic Games have already nerfed the Stormwing multiple times, it seems as though they have yet to find a sweet spot for the competitive community. Players will no doubt be anxiously awaiting the first Fortnite patch of 2019 to see if Epic has any changes in store for the controversial vehicles.

  • FaZe Clan’s Jarvis gets banned again on Fortnite in first stream back – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Jarvis gets banned again on Fortnite in first stream back @liljarviss/TwitterFormer FaZe Clan Fortnite pro and streamer Jarvis ‘Jarvis’ Khattri has apparently had an account on the battle royale shut down again after attempting to stream the game despite his previous ban. UPDATE – 9:30 PM EST Almost immediately after going live on Twitch playing Fortnite, Jarvis’ account appears to have been banned by Epic Games, who were likely keeping a close eye on the broadcast since the content creator was defying their 2019 ruling. Not even through his first match, the FaZe star was kicked out, and seemingly confirmed the ban in a followup tweet. However, not everyone is sold on the whole situation – some fans believe that the whole event was staged for a YouTube video, since the message on the screen simply stated that the account had been logged into elsewhere, not that it had been shut down completely. This theory was further fueled by the fact that Jarvis had a cameraman at the ready for if and when something happened. https://twitter.com/ascxndingz/status/1304591422260117504 Some have presented a counter to this theory, however, as they’ve taken a deep dive into the game’s coding to determine that the account Jarvis was playing on, the one he claims to have been banned, was indeed shut down and is “not active.” Wasn’t even staged, @liljarviss was banned. lmao pic.twitter.com/sITTa5Plk3 — Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks (@FNBRLeaks) September 12, 2020 In either case, what took place was enough to get the attention of everyone in the Fortnite community – fans, pro players, and content creators alike. SypherPK, one of the biggest names in the scene, took to Twitter to share his take on the evening. Apparently it’s not confirmed that he got banned. Seems like he was logged out. Either way something is up. — SypherPK (@SypherPK) September 12, 2020 ORIGINAL STORY: Jarvis was permanently banned by Epic Games nearly a year ago in 2019 after he was caught using hacks to cheat at Fortnite on stream. On September 11, 2020, Jarvis announced he would be returning to play Fortnite on Twitch for the very first time since his ban. The only problem is, he’s still not unbanned, but it seems he’s going to try and play while pulling the wool over Epic’s eyes. To try and avoid an instant hit from the ban hammer on the account he’ll be playing with, Jarvis will be covering his name on stream in an effort to stop Epic from discovering his tag and taking action. It’s been nearly a year since Epic banned me. Tonight @ 6PM PST I’m playing Fortnite for the first time back on Twitch. See you there. — Jarvis (@liljarviss) September 11, 2020 How to watch Jarvis’ first Fortnite stream back on Twitch Technically, Jarvis is still banned, so it would probably be wise to tune in as soon as possible if you want to catch some of the action. Even if he’s taking precautions and hiding his tag, Epic very well could have other ways of finding his account and banning him. If you want to watch Jarvis hop back into Fortnite on stream for the first time in a year, he’ll be broadcasting on his Twitch channel (embedded below) starting at 6 PM PST/9 PM EST. Why was Jarvis banned from Fortnite? In case you missed the internet blowing up following Epic Game’s banning of Jarvis, the publisher handed a permaban to the FaZe Clan creator after he uploaded a series of videos in which he used an aimbot in matches on his alt account. Although it wasn’t on his main account, or in a competitive setting, Epic still made the decision to ban Jarvis from the game permanently, effectively ending his Fortnite career right then and there. A lot of big Twitch and gaming names like Ninja, Dr Disrespect, xQc, and FaZe Banks all argued that Jarvis shouldn’t have been permanently banned and implored Epic to reconsider, but one year later, nothing has changed that we know of. Jarvis isn’t the first streamer to attempt to return to a game while being banned, but he is one of the most high profile to do so, considering the amount of coverage his ban got at the time. It will be interesting to see where his Fortnite skills are at after a year of not streaming, though there was nothing stopping him from playing and not broadcasting (that we know of). Jarvis was one of the biggest names in battle royales at the time he was banned, so this is definitely one stream you don’t want to miss, no matter how long it lasts.

  • FaZe Clan’s Cloak comes incredibly close to breaking Fortnite world record – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Cloak comes incredibly close to breaking Fortnite world record Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, a professional Fortnite player for FaZe Clan, came unbelievably close to breaking the world record for kills in a solo game, missing out by a single kill. It would not have been the first time he has broken records either, as he and his FaZe teammates (Tfue, Jaomock and Tennp0) previously held the record for kills in a squad game, although it has since been beaten. But he was incredibly close to reclaiming a world record, after hitting 29 kills in a solo game – one short of the 30 managed by OpTic Gaming player ‘Baldy’ back in May 2018. Admittedly, the 29 kill game managed by Cloak was not in the standard solo playlist, but rather the limited time mode ‘Soaring Solos’, which allows players to use their gliders during the game, when jumping from a significant height. More: Full recap of Fortnite ‘Fall Skirmish’ Week One tournament (NA and EU) – results, final placements, and Clubs standings – The mode was previously only in 50v50, but as it was a fan favorite so Epic Games added it to solos too. Other than the glider usability, there is little difference to regular solos, but it does essentially prevent taking fall damage. You can watch the full game from Cloak below, which as he explains should have been 31 kills, but “2 kills got stolen”. He was also perhaps slightly benefited by players ‘stream sniping’ him at the start of the game, however, it was bound to be a popular landing area due to the change to Loot Lake. More: TSM HighDistortion calls 100 Thieves’ Kenith a “scumbag” for bad sportsmanship during Fall Skirmish Fortnite tournament – If he had got the 31 kills, it is unlikely the record would have stood considering it was in soaring solos, although there is a good chance that 29 is in fact the record for the Soaring Solos mode specifically.

  • FaZe Clan’s Cloak Pulls Off Incredible 1 vs. 21 on Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Cloak Pulls Off Incredible 1 vs. 21 on Fortnite Battle Royale FaZe Clan’s competitive Fortnite Battle Royale star, Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, pulled off the unthinkable during a 50 vs. 50 game, clutching up a 1 vs. 21. When it comes to Fortnite Battle Royale everyone is not created equally. When it comes to FaZe Clan’s competitive Fortnite player, Cloak, the odds are almost always in his favor. The Fortnite sensation joined FaZe Clan as the captain of their Fortnite team in March of 2018 and regularly streams for fans to see just how good he is. Fortnite Battle Royale has taken the world by storm in the first half of 2018, eclipsing virtually all competition and even dethroning PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as the number one game in the Battle Royale genre. One of the things that keeps the fast paced game so fresh is that Epic Games, the developers, constantly release new updates, patches, and limited time game modes. During a recent Twitch stream Cloak was playing with 50 vs. 50 game which is the Limited Time Mode of the moment. In what can only be described as gaming brilliance, the FaZe man managed to win the entire game from a seemingly impossible 1 vs. 21 situation. He clutched a 1v21 in Tilted Towers…. @cloakzy pic.twitter.com/GBxgx4vwnP — FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) April 25, 2018 Content creators can usually only dream of producing a work of such brilliance but Cloak seems to take the whole thing in his stride. One of the best things about Fortnite’s rapid rise in prominence is that it had given spawn to an influx of new competitive players and content creators that has rarely been seen since the early days of Call of Duty commentaries.

  • FaZe Clan Troll Streamer ‘DrLupo’ for Being “Most Average” Friday Fortnite Player – Dexerto

FaZe Clan Troll Streamer ‘DrLupo’ for Being “Most Average” Friday Fortnite Player Although not much considered among the highest echelon of Fortnite players, streamer Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo is one of the biggest names in the community. Usually found playing with close friend and fellow streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, DrLupo was also part of the casting team for the recent Fortnite Pro-Am Celebrity Tournament that was held in Los Angeles during the E3 gaming convention. He also is a weekly participant of the Friday Fortnite competition, although he has failed to go considerably deep in any of the weeks he has played in. Coming into the most recent Week 8 tournament held on June 29th, his average placement in the previous four weeks had been top 16, which is essentially an average finish. So average in fact, that FaZe Clan decided to troll him about it, essentially calling him the most average player out of the field of Friday Fortnite competitors. Read More: Ninjas Reacts to Beating FaZe’s Tfue and Cloak and Winning $20,000 Friday Fortnite Tournament – In recent weeks, FaZe have released their version of the Friday Fortnite power rankings, in which they list who they think are the top 10 players coming into that specific week. On June 29th, they released a special version called the “Most Average Power Rankings,” with DrLupo headlining the list in first place. In fact, he was also second, third, fourth, and all the way down to 10th. Yeah I’m going to need you to add another rank called “Most Average” and slap my name on it, thanks in advance.” Yeah I’m gonna need you to add another rank called “”Most Average”” and slap my name on it, thanks in advance. — DrLupo (@DrLupoOnTwitch) June 22, 2018 Whether or not he was serious, the troll was rather hilarious, considering how prominent FaZe’s presence is on social media. Of course, they are in a position to make these types of remarks about others without fear of backlash since their very own pro players ‘Tfue’ and ‘Cloak’ have won the competition three times, with no one else having it won more than once.

  • FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz has made a new Fortnite ‘Death Maze’ that looks impossible to solve – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz has made a new Fortnite ‘Death Maze’ that looks impossible to solve FaZe Clan YouTuber and Fortnite Battle Royale mastermind Cizzorz is back at it again with another challenge map that looks impossible to complete. Notorious for making incredibly difficult obstacle courses in Fortnite’s Creative Mode, Cizzorz’s latest creation is a called “Death Maze” and it looks as painful as the name would suggest. The maze features five full levels of doors leading to nowhere, deadly traps in the most unexpected places, dead end after dead end, with just a single patch to victory among all of the distractions. What’s most crazy about this new Death Maze is that it may not even be fully completed yet. Cizzorz has not yet officially revealed his newest creation and the only glimpse that fans have gotten of it is via a video posted by popular streamer CouRage. Read More: Major changes coming to Fortnite’s Streamer Mode that will further help prevent stream sniping – Being the good friends that they are, Cizzorz gave CouRage the honor of being the first ever person to try the new Death Maze, and his stressful journey was perfectly documented in the video below. Seeing as how this map isn’t even public yet, the door is very much wide open for Cizzorz to further expand upon the already existing levels of the maze. Considering how his previous two popular creations, DeathRun 1.0 and 2.0, both had over 10 levels of action, it’s still a strong possibility that the Death Maze could follow suit. Speaking of the DeathRun 2.0, Cizzors is currently holding a competition to determine who can complete the obstacle course the fastest, with a $5,000 prize pool set to be split between the three fastest players. Whether or not he will do something similar for his new Death Maze remains to be seen, and those who do want to try his newest course will want to keep an eye on his Twitter @Cizzorz for when he does publish the access code.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue shows new Fortnite exploit to counter ‘turtling’ – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue shows new Fortnite exploit to counter ‘turtling’ FaZe Tfue/FaZe/FortniteInsiderFortnite superstar Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has demonstrated a new, complex method to counter opposition players who opt to ‘turtle’ in the popular battle royale game. The FaZe star has a well established reputation for finding in-game glitches and being able to exploit them for his own gain, contributing to his standing as arguably the best Fortnite player in the world. ‘Turtling’ refers to a tactic in Fortnite that is often used defensively, in which a player who is under attack will box themselves in – similar to a turtle in its protective shell – and continue to build walls in response to the aggressor trying to break in to eliminate them. It has become a more prominent issue in the third person battle royale since the introduction of ‘turbo-building’ early last year, which allows players to essentially build more quickly, to the point where it is near impossible for aggressors to counter this defensive strategy. This can often lead to long and frustrating stand-offs, particularly for talented, offensive players such as Tfue who will encounter it regularly. This follows previous criticism from the streamer about Season 8, as he does not feel it addressed enough of the bugs that plague Fortnite, instead opting for map changes and weapon adjustments. Glad everyone’s enjoying the new season because I’m sure not :skin-tone-2: — Tfue (@TTfue) February 28, 2019 However, Tfue appears to have found a new method to counter ‘turtling’, which enables him to get into his opponent’s defensive structure. It involves building his own pyramid adjacent to that of his opponents’, followed by a number of quick edits. This then places his character in a position pressed up to the opponent’s wall, where he is able to quickly break down the wall and force his way into the ‘turtle’. Tfue is clearly still frustrated with the abilities of players to turtle, saying: “Here we are chat, another fucking episode. I’m about to do it bro. I’m about to just say fuck it.” After breaking in and killing his opponent, Tenney says that “they didn’t patch this motherfucker. Some tricks I just have to pull out.”

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue explains why Fortnite’s v8.20 update shouldn’t be reverted – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue explains why Fortnite’s v8.20 update shouldn’t be reverted Ever since the release of the Fortnite v8.20 update, pretty much every streamer and pro has been calling for Epic Games to revert the patch. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney thinks this patch is good for the game and explains his reasoning. Just like how Fortnite patch 7.40 will go down as one of the best-received updates in the game, v8.20 will go down in infamy as one of the more controversial patches Fortnite has ever come out with. Streamers like Ninja, Daequan, TimTheTatman, dakotaz and many more have all become outspoken critics of patch v8.20 and have been asking for it to be reverted, pretty much ever since it came out. As it turns out, not every Fortnite player is completely against the patch. FaZe Clan member Tfue has actually been a vocal supporter of Epic Games introducing this patch and doesn’t want it reverted. Read More: New Explosive Bow weapon coming to Fortnite – This is a weird turn of events as Tfue is one of the top players in Fortnite and is certainly someone you’d expect to see upset by these changes. It’s not like he’s saying this just to play devil’s advocate, he does have reasons from being against a revert. Timestamp of 0:15 for mobile users. Reasons why Tfue is against a revert Many of the criticisms you see are players complaining that the game is going backward now that health and materials per elimination are gone but Tfue argues that is good for the long-term health of Fortnite. “I hate almost every single update and I honestly think this is the only good one they’ve done,” he said. “I literally said before they added it to the game. Public regular playlists should not have health per kill, should not have mats per kill. That shit does not belong in public games at all.” The removal of that feature was what was focused on the most by players but Tfue thinks it’s actually the best part of the patch. “The only people that are gonna complain about it are the people that are getting hit,” he said. “Listen, buddy, how about you get good at the game and don’t get hit, then you don’t have to deal with it.” He then goes on to say that he wants longevity and reverting that change was probably the best thing Epic could’ve done.
