$15 million Fortnite Winter Royale Duos 2019: dates, format, prizes, rules All of the details have been announced for the Winter Royale 2019 competition in Fortnite Chapter 2, including the official dates, format, rules, and prizes. The $15+ million Winter Royale 2019 will be the most lucrative competition so far in Fortnite Chapter 2, and the second biggest overall following the $40 million World Cup qualifiers and finals earlier in 2019. The event will be broken down into three separate Duos tournaments, played December 20, 21, and 22, each featuring their own scoring system, rules, and $5 million prize pool. There are some important things to note: the tournaments will all be platform-specific with players separated into PC, Xbox/PS4, and Switch/mobile/Touch lobbies. Furthermore, there will be no Arena rank requirement to enter, unlike the FNCS, which was available only to those who achieved Champion status in Arena. Speaking of Arena, Epic Games have enabled Arena Duos again in order to give players a competitive setting to practice in and prepare. UPDATE – December 19 On December 19, a day before the first tournament of Winter Royale was scheduled to kick off, Epic Games announced that they had increased the prize pool and added over 20,000 new placements for the event. This was so “more players have an opportunity to win.” The exact amount that the prize pool was increased by was not immediately revealed, but it was likely to have been split between all of the prizes for various regions and platforms (detailed below) In response to the huge number of players dropping into Arena Duos to prep for Winter Royale, we are increasing the prize pool and adding over 20,000 new placements to the Official Rules so more players have an opportunity to win. Good luck to all and Happy WinterFest! pic.twitter.com/nFFE17b12A — Fortnite Competitive (@FNCompetitive) December 20, 2019 Winter Royale 2019 – Day one Date: Friday, December 20, 2019 (exact starting times are region-specific and listed in-game) Prize Pool: $5 million Format: The day one tournament’s format has an all-or-nothing feel to it as the only placements points will be awarded for Victory Royales. The only other way to earn points will be through eliminations, with one point awarded for each kill. Rules: The tournament session will last approximately four hours, and players may enter a maximum of 15 matches during each session. Points will be awarded based on the scoring system below, and, after each session, the players who earn the most points as indicated on the in-game leaderboard will be awarded prizes based on the prize breakdown detailed below. Scoring System: Victory Royale: 15 points – Each elimination: 1 point – Tiebreakers: Tiebreakers will be determined in the following order: Total points scored – Total Victory Royales in the session – • Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a giant beach umbrella and rubber duck’ 14 Days of Summer challenge – Dexerto

Fortnite: How to complete ‘Visit a giant beach umbrella and rubber duck’ 14 Days of Summer challenge Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer special event is rolling on, and the Friday, July 5 challenge tasks players with visiting a giant beach umbrella and a huge rubber duck in a single match. The 14 Days of Summer event may be drawing to a close, but players still have a few daily challenges left to complete if they want some sweet rewards courtesy of Epic Games. This challenge will see players travelling around the island, as players must visit a giant beach umbrella and a huge rubber duck in a single match, but if you’re struggling to find them, or are looking for the quickest way to complete the challenge, our handy guide should help you out. Unlike other 14 Days of Summer challenges, this one must be completed in the same match, so if you manage to find a rubber duck but get eliminated before you make it to a giant umbrella, you’ll have to start the challenge again in your next match. What makes this challenge even more difficult is the fact that the rubber duck moves in every match, as it sits on the river that cuts through the map near Neo Tilted and down towards Fatal Fields. Thankfully though, the beach umbrellas don’t move, so if you’re looking for the locations for one of those, you can use our handy map which marks each one out for you. Remember, the duck will continuously move from game to game, so don’t expect it to be in the last place you saw it when you get back into a match. This is the 11th of 14 challenges that Epic have released this summer season, and if you missed any of the previous tasks laid out by the developers, you can use our 14 Days of Summer challenge hub to get caught up. To tie in with the theme of this challenge, players who complete it will earn a special rubber duck back bling which they can proudly wear as they search for victory royales.

  • 14 Days of Fortnite: Everything we know about Winter Event – Dexerto

14 Days of Fortnite: Everything we know about Winter Event Epic GamesThe 14 Days of Fortnite Winterfest holiday bash is one of the most anticipated in-game events in the battle royale, but Epic Games has shared little about the event in 2020, so here’s everything we know about it. Fortnite’s Season 5 is now underway, with Epic introducing plenty of Bounty hunter themed changes such as adding a Gold Bars currency and even introducing The Mandalorian to the battle royale universe. But, with the Christmas-themed events historically starting in the latter half of December, there’s has been little announced for this year’s holiday bash so far. In 2019, instead of the 14 Days of Fortnite, Epic decided to go with the Winterfest that was basically the same in concept under a different name. That could happen this year too. Although it might not come under the same name, the 14 Days of Fortnite will signal the battle royale’s holiday festivities for players to enjoy. When does 14 Days of Fortnite 2020 start? In 2019, the Winterfest ran from December 18 to January 6, giving players about 3 weeks to clear all of the challenges for that season. Before that, 2018’s original Christmas event was live from December 20 until January 2. Going by this trend, we can expect this year’s event to run from the third week of December to around a week after the new year. This would put the event in 2020 around the same time, anywhere from December 17 to January 8, although we’ll see if Epic switches it up. Fortnite Holiday event Snowmando NPC Of course, the biggest reason to participate in the Fortnite holiday event is for the challenges that instantly reward players with all sorts of goods. While we still don’t have word on what they might be, there’s been an indication that Epic could already be planning on some snow-themed additions to the game. Dataminer ‘HypeX’ previously found a link with a Snowman NPC, which was later revealed to be called “Snowmando,” and found that it “grants you a quest” in-game. HypeX said that the NPC can have conversations, explode, and spawn loot. This could be a part of an elaborate holiday scheme that Epic has been cooking up. But if nothing else, the inclusion of a snowman could foretell a blanket of ice covering the Fortnite island once again. Here are some things that @intercelluar & i found until leaking is back to normal: – Epic are working on a Slurp Bazooka – There’s an unreleased “”Fire Extinguisher”” item – We might get a “”Snowman NPC”” that grants you a quest, it has conversations, can explode and/or spawn loot— HYPEX (@HYPEX) October 22, 2020 Another dataminer ShiinaBR added to the Snowmando leaks, sharing an early look at the character and highlighting that the NPC does not have a Fortnite Item Shop tag. Meaning that, if he is to be released as a character skin, there’s a chance that he could be selected as a free skin reward in the upcoming Winterfest event. Something I didn’t notice until now: Snowmando does NOT have an Item Shop tag! 👀 This may be a bit far-fetched, but could this mean that he could be a free skin of this year’s 14 Days of Fortnite (Winterfest)? pic.twitter.com/NAvxhW6Tg9 — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) December 5, 2020 Christmas Flopper It was also leaked that the 14 Days of Fortnite event will introduce a new “Christmas Flopper” consumable that players will be able to find for some extra stats. The Christmas Flopper is expected to heal players 15hp at a time and players should be able to stack five of them in one inventory slot. https://twitter.com/LunakisLeaks/status/1335517812304044032 Winterfest sounds In the latest Season 5 update, new audio files were added to Fortnite, and fans have already pointed out some old items potentially returning in the Winterfest patch. Dataminer PeQu shared snippets of the Fortnite sounds and it was revealed that the Frozen Ice Boxes containing loot are seemingly ready to be added. • 14 Days of Summer ‘Launch three fireworks found along the river bank’ challenge guide – Dexerto

14 Days of Summer ‘Launch three fireworks found along the river bank’ challenge guide Epic GamesWe’re coming to the end of Fortnite Battle Royale’s 14 Days of Summer event, but Epic Games have added the tenth challenge of the two-week mode asking players to set off fireworks which are found along the river bank. The 14 Days of Summer event is taking place as developers Epic Games enjoy a two week vacation, but made sure to leave something for fans of the popular battle royale title to work on in their absence. Each day, a new daily challenge is released, with players who successfully complete the task gifted a special reward in the form of a cosmetic item, based on the summer theme. The day 10 challenge goes live on Independence Day in the United States, and to help mark the holiday, players are tasked with setting off three fireworks on the island, much like the parties and celebrations taking place across America. Unlike other challenges, players will be battling against their fellow players to launch three fireworks, as there are only six of them on the map in total, and once they are set off, they are unavailable for the rest of the match. Thankfully, players don’t need to set off the three fireworks in one match, or even in consecutive games, so don’t worry if you land and they’re already gone, as you can keep trying until you finally get one. The key to completing this 14 Days of Summer challenge will be speed. The quicker you land, the more chance there will be that one of the fireworks is still there, so choose a spot and get there as quickly as possible. There are six total fireworks, and we’ve marked the location of each one on this map so you can see where you need to go. With just a few days left, players don’t have long to finish the challenges, but if there’s any tasks you have missed, make sure to visit our 14 Days of Summer challenge hub to catch up. Players will also need to complete this challenge if they’re hoping to attempt the Day 14 challenge, which tasks players with destroying seven grill using the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool. This is because the Low n’ Slow pickaxe is actually the reward for completing this challenge, so make sure you’ve finished this one before attempting the final 14 Days of Summer challenge. • 14 Days of Fortnite challenges and how to complete them – Dexerto

14 Days of Fortnite challenges and how to complete them The 14 days of Fortnite event has a daily challenge every day in Fortnite Battle Royale, with a free reward for every one, with the final challenge revealed on January 1. These challenges were only revealed one at a time, but with the final challenge going live on January 1, we now have the complete list, in order. You will have a limited time to complete these challenges after the event ends, estimated to expire on January 3 or January 4. You can see every reward in order for the 14 Days of Fortnite here – which includes items like a pickaxe, glider, weapon wrap and pet. Challenge 1: The first challenge, for December 19 couldn’t be more straightforward. All you need to do is enter a Creative mode game. – Challenge 2: For December 20, you will need to travel to the hill west of Fatal Fields where you will see the first Candy Can. There is another just north of Frosty Flights. – Challenge 3: The third 14 Days of Fortnite challenge for December 21 is another simple one, as all you need to do to earn your reward is play three matches with friends. – Challenge 4: For the fourth challenge on December 22, you will need to hit 4 players with snowballs. This can be a slightly tougher task, but if you’re lucky and can make some accurate throws, you should be able to get it done in a match or two. – Challenge 5: Challenge number 5, on December 23, requires you to fly a X4-Stormwing plane through 5 golden rings. These rings can be spotted around the sky on the Fortnite map, so you will need to find a plane and simply navigate your way through. – Challenge 6: For challenge number 6, you will need to find 6 total ‘Waterside goose nests’. The hint for this one is in the name of course, but we will have a full map guide for all the nest locations soon to help you get them faster. – Challenge 7: For the seventh day’s challenge, all players have to do is use a Boogie Bomb or Presents seven times. To get this done quickly, players should land in locations where chests are most likely to spawn to increase their chances of getting the items they need for the challenge. – Challenge 8: All you need to do for the Day 8 challenge is damage opponents with eight different weapons – so remember to switch weapons regularly in gunfights! – Challenge 9: This challenge will require a bit more traveling around the map as players are tasked with dancing in front of nine different Holiday Trees that are spread around. If you’re looking to get this one done quickly, landing in the southeast section of the map looks to be the best method. – Challenge 10: The tenth 14 Days of Fortnite is another one that will require you to move around the island, although you’ll need a vehicle to complete this one. Players must land tricks in a vehicle at 10 different named locations around the map. To give yourself the best chance at completing this quickly, it’s probably worth landing at the racetrack at the southeast corner of the map and grabbing a Quadcrasher there. – Challenge 11: For Day 11, Epic has given us a break from the tougher challenges. All you’ll need to do is thank the bus driver in 11 different matches. If you don’t how to thank the bus driver, check out our guide here. – Challenge 12: A bit of a tougher challenge for Day 12, as you will need to find and destroy 12 snowflake decorations. Luckily, we’ve got all the locations to find them marked on this helpful map. – Challenge 13: To complete the penultimate challenge, players will need to make their way back to Creative Mode for the first time since Day 1, and place 13 Devices on one of the islands. – Challenge 14: For the last challenge, you simply need to search 14 different chests on the map. It couldn’t be any simpler – except it can, with our handy chest locations map. – With all the challenges now live, you can jump in and start earning any of the free rewards which you haven’t already. If you don’t manage to complete them all in time, before the event ends, don’t panic, as they will still be available for a few days after the event is over. An Epic Games employee stated they will expire on the 3rd or 4th of January. Along with all the challenges, a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) also went live every day, with the final day launching the brand new ‘One Shot LTM’ – combining low gravity, low health and snipers only. Players will be hoping Epic Games has plans for more of these limited time challenges in the future, as the daily tasks and excellent free rewards made for some exciting Fortnite action over the holiday period.

  • 14 Days of Fortnite Day 9 challenges and reward have leaked – Dexerto

14 Days of Fortnite Day 9 challenges and reward have leaked Epic GamesEpic Games’ 14 Days of Fortnite sees players completing hilariously inane tasks around the map that will reward them with a holiday-themed offering during the festive season, and the latest challenge and its prize have leaked. Fortnite has been on a tear this holiday season, giving fans everything from Christmas themed skins and emotes to a completely new Creative mode to its game; as the season of giving winds down the developers are sneaking a few more gifts for players that complete their daily challenges. In a new leak, the task and reward for Day 9 of the 14 Days of Fortnite have been uncovered and the reward that goes along with it seems to be a snow globe inspired add-on. The challenge is simply to “land tricks at nine different named locations.” Upon completing the challenge the player is rewarded what looks to be an emote of a snow globe encapsulating a cabin in a snowy setting. Read more: Fortnite streamer CouRage hilariously loses his mind as he tries FaZe Cizzorz’s famous ‘Death Run’ obstacle course – The leak focuses on player’s completing “tricks,” although no vehicle or medium for doing so was specified. It’s still in the cards that Epic Games might make a last-second change to the challenge for Day 9, and updates will follow should that be the case. Whatever the challenge may be will hopefully go without a hitch unlike previous iterations that saw a hotfix issued for player’s going unrewarded.

14 Days of Fortnite challenge and reward for Day 10 has been leaked Right on schedule, data miners have once again dug into the game files of Fortnite to uncover the next 14 Days of Fortnite challenge and reward prior to release. No challenge or reward is safe from data miners in Fortnite, as each day they have managed to unearth new information on the upcoming events for the 14 Days of Fortnite event. As we near the end of the 14-day event, things haven’t changed at all with the latest leak on December 27. While the challenge leaks have been hit and miss as Epic Games continues to keep everyone guessing, the reward leaks have been spot on each day. As such, players can expect this to be the reward for Day 10 of the event. Of course, there has been no official confirmation on the matter and we don’t find out until the challenge unlocks on December 28 whether this is indeed the next challenge. Each day during the 14 Days of Fortnite event, players have been met with a new daily challenge that unlocks a special holiday-themed reward. As is the case with pretty much every Fortnite challenge, data miners have leaked the rewards and challenges each and every day. While the Day 10 reward was just a simple, yet still holiday-themed, spray, Day 11 looks to be one of the best rewards yet in the form of the Frozen Axe pickaxe. OpTic, Cloud9, TSM, and more: How to watch – Stream, schedule, and invited playersWhile that reward looks to be all but set in stone, the challenge for Day 11 is much murkier given the data miners’ track record thus far. Of the full list of challenges that leaked prior to the start of the event, just four remain, which have heavily narrowed down the options moving into the final days. Destroy different snowflake decorations – Thank the bus driver – Place different devices on a Creative Island – Search Chests – The only thing that leakers seem to know for certain is that the Day 11 challenge will not be “Destroy different snowflake decorations.” That leaves just three challenges as possibilities for Day 11. • 100 Thieves SirDimetrious breaks down why Fortnite’s turbo building is broken – Dexerto

100 Thieves SirDimetrious breaks down why Fortnite’s turbo building is broken 100 Thieves professional player SirDimetrious has explained why the current version of turbo building in Fortnite is not working properly. Turbo building is a feature that allows players to quickly place multiple structures like walls or ramps without being forced to build each piece individually. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, SirDimetrious explained that he has been using turbo building since it was introduced, and cited Season 3 and Season 4 as the last time he felt that the building tool worked properly. Since then, the 100 Thieves member believes that changes made to the game have affected turbo building, and that it doesn’t work as it was intended now in Season 6. SirDimetrious states that he had previously used in-game keybinds to build a wall with one press of a button, meaning that he could fire a shotgun and then immediately placing a barricade in front of him, with no delay between the shot and the build. However, when he tries to do it during Season 6, there is a noticeable delay between his shot and the wall being placed, which SirDimetrious states is costing him gunfights. The American says that he has been told by other players that “this is just how turbo-building works”, so he has found old footage showing that this is not the case, and was also able to recreate the effect of turbo-building using a macro on his mouse, however this is against Fortnite Terms of Service so he wouldn’t use it in-game. SirDimetrious isn’t sure if this is a problem that only affects players when they try to shoot, but states that as far as he is aware it affects players every time they try to build when they are holding a gun. Epic Games have yet to respond to the issues regarding turbo-building, but players who regularly use the feature will be hoping that it’s addressed in a future update.

They signed the former Renegades CSGO roster, who made their debut at IEM Beijing and reached the grand finals. They also signed coach Tony ‘Zikz’ Gray, who brings championship experience to 100T after coaching TSM to back-to-back LCS championships in 2015 and 2016. Their newest Fortnite additions will also bolster the number of streamers under the 100 Thieves banner, which was increased two weeks with the big-time signing of streamer BrookeAB. 100 Thieves streamer CourageJD shocked the streaming world earlier in the month when he announced he was moving to YouTube to stream exclusively. For 100 Thieves, these steps forward are huge given the massive step back they had to take in August, when they announced that they would be moving away from the Call of Duty scene and not participating in the upcoming franchised Call of Duty League.

Recently, 100 Thieves unveiled a standalone AAA game, titled Project X, which is now being developed by their respective teams of artists and game developers. While the launch of that game is still some time away, the developers at 100 Thieves wanted to get something out sooner. That’s where Bank Heist comes in. Why don’t we try to build a slightly more competitive multiplayer game?” Still, when asked about future plans with the platform John responded, “This is the first of many games. We’re just trying to move the ball forward a little bit.” Launching worldwide on PC, Consoles, and other devices where Fortnite is available, Bank Heist is coming to Fortnite Creative 2.0 on July 11, 2023 at 11 am PDT.

  • 100 Thieves NoahJ456 explains why it’s getting harder to enjoy Fortnite as a casual player – Dexerto

100 Thieves NoahJ456 explains why it’s getting harder to enjoy Fortnite as a casual player Twitter: NoahJ456Fortnite has become less enjoyable for players who just want to play the game casually. Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world today, with players regularly jumping into the Battle Bus in search of a Victory Royale. Since the game’s release in September 2017, the skill of the game’s players has skyrocketed, as those who play the battle royale title continue to improve and become more comfortable with building and shooting. While the increase in talent among Fortnite players is a sign of the game’s continued growth, the 100 Thieves member believes that it has had a detrimental effect on some aspects of the game – and has made the game less enjoyable for players who aren’t interested in playing competitively. In a tweet sent out on Sunday, March 10, Noah suggested that the incredibly high skill level was actually making the game less fun, revealing that after playing a couple of solo matches, he realized there was an issue. “I got destroyed in my first three games by players wearing soccer skins,” wrote Noah on Twitter. “Got killed by a 13-year-old kid who called me a huge bot after he murdered me. I realized that you have to make Fortnite your part-time job to even play the game casually.” Played a few Fortnite solos: – Got destroyed by soccer skins my first 3 games – Got killed by a TTV, went to his stream, and a 13 year old kid called me a huge bot after he murdered me – Cried a lot – Realized you have to make Fortnite your part time job to even play casually — 100T NoahJ456 (@NoahJ456) March 10, 2019 Many believe that a proper ranked system is the solution to this issue, as players who want to compete at a high level will likely move to that, while players who want to have fun and play casually can continue to take part in the normal game modes. No longer part of 100 Thieves Read: https://t.co/9kBVM6LGRt — SirDimetrious (@SirDimetrious) September 3, 2019 Kenith first joined 100 Thieves back in June of 2018, and was one of the first players signed when the organization first dipped its toe into competitive Fortnite. SirDimetrious joined that roster also in 2018, shortly after Kenith, while Blind came on board in February 2019 as a promising talent. Unfortunately, none of them qualified for either the Solos or Duos finals at the recent $30 million Fortnite World Cup. Following the changes, 100 Thieves’ Fortnite roster now looks like this: Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger – Davis ‘Ceice’ McClellan – Brandon ‘Klass’ Weaver – ‘Kyzui’ –

  • 100 Thieves’ NICKMERCS Has an Interesting Idea for the Kill Count Indicator in Fortnite – “Nobody is Saying No!” – Dexerto

100 Thieves’ NICKMERCS Has an Interesting Idea for the Kill Count Indicator in Fortnite – “Nobody is Saying No!” 100 Thieves content creator Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has presented an idea for the kill count indicator in Fortnite. Playing the game live on his Twitch channel as usual, the popular streamer proposed that Epic Games should add an option that allows players to see their teammates’ kills counters on the main HUD, should they want to do so. When playing Duos or Squads, the number of kills that a player’s teammates have collected can not be viewed on the HUD, but instead can only be seen by visiting the menu. With the way third-party Fortnite tournaments and competitive modes are currently set up, getting and keeping track of eliminations is crucial, so the inability to see party members’ kill counts quickly can be annoying and disadvantageous. The former Gears of War pro player believes that not only would the idea prove to be successful, but it also almost seems like a no-brainer. “I’m calling Epic [Games], I’m going to call them. Listen, I do not really know what I’m talking about, but I know a couple things about a couple things. And if you’re sitting down at a big ass table full of people, if you ask them ‘Hey, do you think putting your kill count by your name over there on the far right side of that bar, and having it as an option in the settings to toggle on and off, just in case, is a bad idea?’ Nobody is saying no, everybody is saying yes. ‘Good idea Mercs’, and I’ll say ‘thank you, family.’” Although this concept has been tossed around before, having someone like Nick, who is the biggest name in console Fortnite, present it in front of 20K+ viewers, could be what prompts Epic to finally add it as an in-game option.

  • 100 Thieves look to step up in competitive Fortnite with two major signings – Dexerto

100 Thieves look to step up in competitive Fortnite with two major signings North American esports organization 100 Thieves have added to prominent names to their Fortnite Battle Royale professional roster. The org announced on February 21 that they’ve officially signed pro Fortnite players Davis ‘Ceice’ McClellan and Hayden ‘Elevate’ Krueger. “This year, we’re making a resurgence into competitive Fortnite,” 100 Thieves tweeted out. “Welcome Ceice and Elevate to 100 Thieves!” Effective immediately, the pair will be joining a team that already features three well-established competitive players – Kenith, Parallax, and SirDimetrious. placed first at the recent WSOE 3 Duos tournament. The pair also teamed up for the grand finals of the Fall Skimish series, placing 46th. 100 Thieves will hope that this new injection of talent will lift their pro team to greater heights within competitive Fortnite, as things have stagnated as of late. Although their roster did have respectable talent, it never come close to the firepower that the likes of Ghost Gaming, FaZe Clan, and Team Liquid can boast. In fact, their most successful competitive player thus far has been content creator Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, who technically isn’t even on the pro roster. However, with 100T pledging to make a “resurgence” into competitive Fortnite, fans have something to look forward to, and bringing on the two players they’ve signed is a huge first step.

  • 100 Thieves MrSavage & team banned during FNCS Grand Finals – Dexerto

100 Thieves MrSavage & team banned during FNCS Grand Finals 100 Thieves / Epic GamesPro Fortnite player, MrSavage of 100 Thieves was competing in the EU FNCS Finals to earn a share of $1.2 million. Things were going well for his team until he was banned mid-tournament causing him and his team to lose out on crucial points. The Fortnite Championship Series is a trios tournament where teams compete against one another to rack up the most points possible. The winning team takes home $300,000 of the $1.2 million they are playing for. The finals are a two-day tournament where teams will play 12 games over that course. Points are awarded based on placement and kills. MrSavage and his team were sitting in a good spot in the Top-5. However, things got complicated when MrSavage received a notification that he was banned. Just talked to epic they are reversing the ban but thats still so annoying i couldve got more points like what it that — MrSavage (@MrSavage) September 4, 2021 Fortnite pro MrSavage banned from Fortnite While playing in the tournament the pro was informed by an Epic Games pop-up that there was an error putting him into his next match. MrSavage informed his viewers that he has never cheated or done anything of that nature. After reaching out to Epic Games, he revealed that they were reversing his ban. He later went on to send out a video showcasing why he was banned. Apparently, a Russian streamer asked his stream to mass report MrSavage and his team to get them banned. The reason we got banned was because a russian streamer told his stream to mass report us. Very funny pic.twitter.com/hVf0gOU25r — MrSavage (@MrSavage) September 4, 2021 Clearly, enough people reported the pro player that he was automatically banned by the system. Not only did this hurt his team but impacted the whole tournament. MrSavage’s team was handed a couple of bans, but so did other players competing as well. Fortnite Competitive sent out a message that Games 4 & 5 from the first day will not count and be replayed at the end of day two. We are nulling the results of Game 4 & 5 in the EU FNCS Finals due to an error that removed several participating teams from the matches accidentally. These matches will be replayed at the end of tomorrow’s Day 2 session. Leaderboards will be corrected after the event concludes. — Fortnite Competitive (@FNCompetitive) September 4, 2021 While there has been no confirmation if the mass reports are what led to these players being banned, the community wants to know what will be done in future tournaments to make sure this doesn’t happen. For now, players are left with a two-game replay to try and make right of the error that hurt teams in day one.

  • Fortnite pro player proves that Turbo Building is broken in Fortnite – Dexerto

Fortnite pro player proves that Turbo Building is broken in Fortnite Turbo Building can be an extremely convenient mechanic to take advantage of in Fortnite, but its bugginess can also prove to be a major liability. Turbo Building is a feature that allows players to rapidly place multiples structures, such as walls, ramps, and roofs, without having to individually initiate the building of each one. However, many players, including 100 Thieves pro Sir Dimetrious (SirD), have publicly complained that the mechanic is faulty and does not always build structures where the player intends it to. This issues can obviously be lethal, since structures are often the difference between a player’s life and death during in-game engagements. To demonstrate that Turbo Building is broken, SirD took to social media to post two videos, one of which is an experiment he conducted in the Playground mode. The video below shows him having a hard time placing a wall and ramp right after shooting his shotgun, all while Turbo Building is enabled. He then turns off the feature and uses a macro in his mouse software to place builds at the same rate as with Turbo Builds, and the ramp-wall structure is perfectly built each time. PSA: Turbo building is broken p.s I used to do this same move all the time using turbo build for many months pic.twitter.com/wHQHyDP7Ar — 100T SirD (@SirDimetrious) November 20, 2018 The second video he tweeted shows him having a similar issue while engaged in a gunfight with an enemy player. The video clearly shows SirD trying to place two walls angled with each other, but only one gets built. As a result, his opponent is able to shoot through the empty space and eliminate him, all because the build that was supposed to be placed didn’t. Another example of how this can screw you over pic.twitter.com/5wipnNsM1i — 100T SirD (@SirDimetrious) November 20, 2018 This is clearly an alarming issue with a mechanic that is so widely used among the vast Fortnite player-base, and some, including SirD, are considering ditching it for manual building. “I played a bit tonight without Turbo on and click for each build placement, felt smoother than using Turbo Build,” he tweeted. “Placed my builds quicker following a shotgun shot this way.”

  • 100 Thieves’ Fortnite Team Breaks PC Squads Kill Record Without Team-Killing – Dexerto

100 Thieves’ Fortnite Team Breaks PC Squads Kill Record Without Team-Killing The pro Fortnite team for 100 Thieves has broken the kill record for Squads on PC without the use of team-killing. The team of ‘Kenith,’ ‘Parallax,’ ‘Risker,’ and ‘SirDimetrious,’ combined to get 54 eliminations in a match without killing each other in-game, which currently stands as the new record for eliminations without team-killing. All four players were flown out to a location in Los Angeles to attempt to break the record, which they ultimately did after hours of hard effort. Initially, many have seemed to be confused at 100 Thieves’ claim of breaking the record, since a squad featuring pro player ‘MoNsTcR’ and OpTic Gaming content creator ‘MaNiaC’ had gotten 55 eliminations in a match before. However, 100 Thieves CEO ‘Nadeshot’ and his players clarified why their effort is the one true record. Nadeshot: The FaZe Clan record of 54 kills is not a true 54 kills. They team killed 2 of their own teammates which added 2 extra kills to their total eliminations. We reached 54 without using that glitch, we eliminated 54 enemy players. FaZe Clan is ridiculously talented so I don’t want to see as if I’m talking trash, I just want to clarify so everyone understands why we believe this is the new PC squads kill record. SirDimetrious 1. It was PC 2. There was no team killing. If we did what other people did, we would have had 56 🙂 This sort of team-killing gives players extra eliminations, a tactic which the previous record holders, and FaZe Clan before them, used to set the record. The full video of 100 Thieves’ Fortnite team getting 54 eliminations and setting the world record can be seen below:

  • 100 Thieves Fortnite pro Parallax shares brutally honest opinion on the new Mounted Turret – Dexerto

100 Thieves Fortnite pro Parallax shares brutally honest opinion on the new Mounted Turret Fortnite Battle Royale’s v6.30 update on November 14 introduced the all-new Mounted Turret trap item but it has already proved to be a point of contention. Shortly after being added to the game, Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins showed that using two Mounted Turrets was incredibly powerful due to the fact that there was no cooldown. On November 15 the developers released a hotfix that reduced the Turret Floor health from 5,000 down to 1,000 and the standard Turret health from 800 to 400. However, it would seem that these changes are still not enough to make the new item balanced in the eyes of the Fortnite community, with many still calling for it to be nerfed again. 100 Thieves Fortnite pro Parallax, though, thinks that an even more severe approach is the only viable course of action, beginning a Reddit thread titled: “Vault the Mounted Turrets.” “Is this even something we need to talk about?” Parallax asked inside the thread. “Scrims are absolute fucking trash because a player can just drop a turret and spray you down. It was bad enough being shot by two players, but now a single player can’t even do anything against ONE player with a turret.” It would seem that the professional player is already fed up of trying to play against the Turret in scrims and competitive environments, but it’s uncertain whether the casual community feels as strongly about it. Epic Games have shown that they are devoted to adding new items, weapons and more to Fortnite ever since the game was released, but they have also been committed to keeping it balanced. It will be interesting to see how the developers respond to feedback about the Mounted Turret in the coming weeks.

  • 100 Thieves announce release date for ProjectX Fortnite game – Dexerto

100 Thieves announce release date for ProjectX Fortnite game 100 ThievesNadeshot and ProjectX Chief Project Officer Pete Hawley announced a release date for the 100 Theives’ upcoming Fortnite 3v3 bank heist game. In March, Epic Games released Fortnite Creative 2.0, also known as the Unreal Editor (UEFN). Creators have harnessed the application’s power to create all new games and experiences within Fortnite’s universe. For example, Five big Fortnite streamers, including TimTheTatman, Ninha, and NICKMERCS, announced Project V, which is a new battle royale using UEFN. Other popular creations, such as an escape room and open-world pirate adventure, just scratch the surface of what the service can do. Nadeshot and the 100 Thieves utilized Fortnite Creative 2.0 to design a heist game. ProjectX Fortnite Creative 2.0 release date revealed 100 Thieves founder Nadeshot sat down with ProjectX Chief Project Officer Pete Hawley to discuss the game. Hawley confirmed the game launches on July 11. It’s a quick turnaround considering development only started in late May. Hawley explained the gameplay loop of what fans can expect from ProjectX. “We had one idea and broke it into three pieces; attack the banks, steal the money, and escape in a helicopter.” The Chief Project Officer also spoke about how ProjectX will open the door for other creations down the line. “As the engine gets better, we won’t be restricted to just Fortnite content. We will be able to do our own true custom content.” Nadeshot talked about his excitement about dipping his toes back into the Fortnite community. “It brought me back to Fortnite, which is a game I fell in love with pretty quickly when it was first released. I am really excited to share this universe with you.” The 100 Thieves provided a quick glimpse at the game’s map but did not share any gameplay. We will provide an update when we learn more about the upcoming project. In the meantime, make sure to check out our list of the best Fortnite 2.0 Creative map codes to play right now.

  • 100 Thieves announce unexpected change to their Fortnite pro team – Dexerto

100 Thieves announce unexpected change to their Fortnite pro team North American esports organization 100 Thieves have made an unexpected roster change to their pro team for Fortnite Battle Royale. Pro player Alex ‘Risker’ Biamonte has left the organization on January 8 in what appears to be a mutual decision according to the tweets posted by both parties. “Today, we part ways with 100T Risker from our Fortnite team,” 100 Thieves tweeted. “Thank you for helping kick off Fortnite for 100 Thieves, and we wish the best of luck with your future endeavors.” Risker was very complementary of his former org in his announcement message: “Today I parted ways with 100 Thieves. I want to thank them again for the amazing opportunity – and a huge thank you to everyone’s kind words and support. There are great things coming, stay posted!” Today, we part ways with @100T_Risker from our Fortnite team. Thank you for helping kick off Fortnite for 100 Thieves, and we wish the best of luck with your future endeavors! pic.twitter.com/ulCZD542It — 100 Thieves (@100Thieves) January 8, 2019 100 Thieves have not announced any corresponding moves to this one, meaning that their pro Fortnite team’s roster will remain comprised of Kenith, Parallax, and SirDimetrious for the time being. As for Risker’s future, he does foreshadow positive news in his tweet, but he has not been picked up by any organizations as of yet. However, considering his top level skill-set, it will likely not be hard for him to find a new home in the very near future. Risker was one of the three players that were part of 100 Thieves’ first ever pro team in Fortnite, along with Kenith and Parallax. All three players joined the org on June 9 in anticipation of the currently ongoing $100 million competitive season. In terms of his competitive resume, Risker participated in four weeks of the Fall Skirmish Series – weeks two, three, four, and seven – with his best placement, 21st overall, coming in the Solos tournament in week four.

  • 10 things in Fortnite that definitely aren’t copying something else – Dexerto

10 things in Fortnite that definitely aren’t copying something else Graphics from Epic GamesEpic Games have been on the receiving end of highly-publicised law suits and tons of complaints about infringing copyright with some of the features they’ve added to Fortnite Battle Royale since the game was released, but we’ve got a list of things that we’re pretty sure haven’t been copied from someplace else. Many people have tried to take legal action against the developer’s decision to add a variety of different content to the game’s battle royale mode, with most recent examples being Alfonso Ribeiro’s failed ‘Carlton Dance’ case and rapper 2 Milly arguing that the ‘Milly Rock’ dance shouldn’t be an emote. While these law suits have proved unsuccessful at the time of writing, it’s not only emotes that people have accused Epic of stealing and the idea of suing them for their content is something the game’s online community has embraced as a meme – more than a genuine possibility. So, let’s take a look at our list of 10 things in Fortnite that definitely aren’t a copy of something else… Ark Skin So, do we have any Overwatch fans in? They will know what we’re talking about here. This Ark skin sprung onto the scene on January 10, 2019 and it, shall we say, has a very familiar look. In fact, a very similar look to a hero from another game. Whether it’s the halo around the head, the wings or the main outfit itself, people think this is a copy of Mercy from Overwatch. Come on, though, they wouldn’t do that. Ping system The game’s map marker system just wasn’t up to scratch when it was first released, as things were too slow. Players had to go through the process of stopping, pulling their map out and marking somewhere for their team to see every time they changed route. Then, when Epic finally released a Apex Legends. Come on, that’s just ludicrous! Building feature If you put all of the current battle royale games in front of you and look at the differences that set the better ones apart, PUBG excels with its slow pace, Call of Duty Blackout has merged the most popular shooting game in history with a brand new concept, but you can’t build in any of those games. Fortnite players can harvest materials from across the map and build fortresses. In fact, they even have a Creative mode now too that gives players unlimited items and materials to build whatever they want! “Did they steal these ideas from Minecraft?” Oh, don’t be silly. All original. Foraged Items Many fans like to engage with other members of the game’s online community on Reddit, and if you’re pretty active on the Fortnite BR page, you might well have seen the new Foraged Items before they were added by Epic Games. Well, what do we mean by that? Reddit user, AndrewIsCoolio, posted a concept on March 18 for Lazy Lagoon which included adding coconuts to the new location, which could be consumed by players and increase their health. Epic released the v8.20 patch on March 27 and there it was! The coconut, along with new bananas and peppers. Definitely not copied, though, for sure. Fresh emote As we mentioned earlier, Alfonso Ribeiro failed in his law suit against Epic Games for allegedly stealing his ‘Carlton Dance’ from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and renaming it as a ‘Fresh’ emote. But, that hasn’t stopped people taking sides in what become a very public showdown. Whether you think the dance was stolen, or inspired by Carlton Banks’ signature dance move from the show, we’ll leave this one for the judges. They don’t look anything alike! Respawn Vans There have been a lot of Fortnite leaks out there for people to see, some of which will wind up appearing in the game’s ‘coming soon’ feed and others that are completely fake. But, there’s one idea that keeps coming up and many fans believe will soon change the way the game is played – respawn vans. There’s never been a respawn feature in Epic’s game, but with the popularity of Apex Legends to compete with – which does have it included – many people are expecting a copied version to appear in Fortnite in the near future. It had never been a topic of discussion before Apex, but will this be the next thing on the copy list? Guiding Beam You may have noticed that placing a marker now leads to a huge beam of light appearing on your screens when playing Fortnite. It’s actually really useful. For example, if your team wants to drop at Sunny Steps and then move around to Lazy Lagoon, you can be guided towards those two markers with the light. Now, this might be a new feature for Fortnite players, but those who have dabbled into the world of Realm Royale will be all too familiar with the concept. Did they take it and make it their own? Who knows. Supply Drop Have you ever been on a very popular shooter title where if you rack up a few kills, you can call in a supply drop? We have. It’s called Call of Duty, and they’re called care packages. Fortnite’s supply crate drops are one of the long-standing features of the game, as they’ve been in there since the very start, and give players the chance to collect a better weapon. We refrain from calling them an original feature, though, because the idea has been around for a long time. Definitely not copied, though. We’re pretty much certain. Battle Royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was well-known as the leader of the battle royale market, with the key word being “was,” as Fortnite has since taken over with its incredible turnover of new content and its unrivalled cosmetics range. In the midst of that success, it was once argued by PUBG that Epic Games has stolen their idea to even venture into the world of battle royale. While there was never really a strong case for this, with the copyright lawsuit eventually being dropped – as reported by Bloomberg, there will still be some people that still believe Fortnite’s success has been built by copying the general idea for their title. Is that right? Well, we haven’t seen any Infinity Blades or Boom Boxes in the recent PUBG patches, if that’s anything to go by. Very different games. Pirate theme We hate to say it, but we’re going to say it. The main theme for Fortnite’s Season 8 might look a tiny bit like they’ve just completely stolen Sea of Thieves and dumped it into a battle royale game mode. Detractors to those suggestions would point to the fact that Sea of Thieves is largely centered around the use of ships to travel, which is correct. Fortnite only has one ship. But, they do have a whole load of new pirate outposts – much like Rare’s game – as well as edible bananas, treasure maps, new cannons and, of course, the Flint-Knock pistol – all very similar stuff. In theory, what better way to crush a pirate game that was surging in popularity and prevent people from swinging away from Fortnite? Well, bring the pirate theme to their own game. Did it play out like that? It’s not for us to say. If you have any suggestions for features that could be added to our list of Fortnite things that definitely haven’t been copied from elsewhere, tweet them over to us @Dexerto.

  • $1,000,000 Xbox-only Fortnite solo tournament leaked by Microsoft – Dexerto

$1,000,000 Xbox-only Fortnite solo tournament leaked by Microsoft An Xbox One exclusive Fortnite Battle Royale tournament worth $1,000,000 could be in the works, if apparent screenshots from the console’s marketplace are to be believed. As one of the most popular games around, Fortnite’s competitive player base grows by the day – with plenty of cash prizes on offer to the top players. Some professionals have already earned over $500,000 through tournaments and with the Fortnite World Cup on the horizon, there is even more money up for grabs. However, another particular tournament has taken the interest of Fortnite players, especially those who drop into games of the popular battle royale title using an Xbox One. On July 11, Redditor nick_21b posted a screenshot to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit that seemed to show the Xbox Marketplace advertising a future Fortnite solos tournament. Confused by what they’d saw, nick_21b, titled the post ‘anyone know what this is?’ clearly looking for input from the community. Of course, a number of posters suggested that it was fake but others pointed to previous comments from Epic Games that may give validity to the post. The possibility of these types of tournaments was hinted at back on May 31, when members of the Epic Games team held an Ask Us Anything on the FortniteCompetitive subreddit. “We will be running a few console/mobile specific tournaments in the future, but the majority of tournaments and Arena will continue to be mixed,” stated Colin ‘skyzyn’ Fogle, Epic Games’ competitive design lead. Yet, since that AMA, Epic have not made any suggestion about the possibility of expanding on that post. A lack of a follow-up makes sense considering they recently had a two-week summer break and the majority of their competitive focus will presumably be on the World Cup event on July 26. Outside of the Xbox store screenshot, not much is known about the details surrounding the possible solos tournament. With the build-up to the Fortnite World Cup well underway, and that being the in the jewel in the competitive crown, it is quite possible that Xbox players will have to wait just a little longer before hosting the first console-only event. Until then, be sure to keep following Dexerto for all the latest news and updates regarding Fortnite Battle Royale.

  • xQc brands competitive Fortnite “a complete failure” ahead of $30m World Cup – Dexerto

xQc brands competitive Fortnite “a complete failure” ahead of $30m World Cup Popular Twitch streamer Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel might well have made his return to Fortnite Battle Royale, but believes the game’s competitive scene is a “complete failure”. Why does xQc think competitive Fortnite is trash? The former Overwatch pro started streaming the game again following the introduction of arena mode, creating some hilarious moments alongside FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. However, while the 23-year-old has stated that he had fallen in love with the game since he has been playing it, xQc has suggested that Epic Games’ venture into the esports scene has been a failure. The esports overall is fucking trash,” xQc said during his May 8 stream. “It is unwatchable, it has no substance, they don’t know how to spectate it or make it exciting. “The storylines are non-existent,” he continued, clearly annoyed by the current state of competitive. “The broadcast is boring, the dialogue is normy, the integration of personalities is unbearable and their vision for production is trash.” Although xQc admitted that Fortnite has had its good moments, he continued by branding the game as “unbearable” in his passionate tirade. He said: “Their integration of competitive gaming in a casual setup is fucking disgusting – it is unbearable as an esport, a complete failure.” The Canadian streamer shares the opinion of many Fortnite professional players, who are clearly unhappy with the direction the game is heading in, with many even threatening to quit following the conclusion of the World Cup. However, with the massive prize pools being offered by Epic Games – with the Fortnite World Cup offering a prize pool of $30 million alone – it’s hard to see any top players walking away, even if they don’t enjoy the game.

  • Where to find Fortnite’s six beach parties for 14 Days of Summer challenge – Dexerto

Where to find Fortnite’s six beach parties for 14 Days of Summer challenge Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer is finally here and that means there are new challenges to complete and rewards to unlock! With the brand new V9.30 content update being released for Fortnite Battle Royale, Epic Games have officially launched their 14 Days of Summer campaign. Over the next two weeks, players can expect to see daily updates to the games Limited Time Modes (LTMs) as well as a new unvaulted weapon each day. There are also a set of challenges to be completed in return for free cosmetic items. The first of the bunch requires players to dance at six different beach parties. However, if you’re confused about where to find these parties, don’t worry, we’ve got your VIP invite in the form of a map. These party locations are areas of the map that have been spruced up for the summer feel. As you might expect, they are scattered around the island but with these being beach parties, you’re going to need some water. It makes sense then, that you can find one at Lazy Lagoon – one at Loot Lake, another in the river close to Neo Tilted, and another by the pool and RV camp in the desert biome. Now, if you’re confused about what dance you have to do when you get there, not to worry! Just head to the locations provided above, bust out your favorite emote when you’re there, and wait for the challenge progress bar to tell you when you’re done. Epic Games have not yet stated if these have to be done in a single match, so you’ll be fine to take a few different games to get the six locations all ticked off. After getting your boogie on at the different parties and completing the challenge, you’ll be awarded the ‘Deep End’ emote, which is a rare variety emote. Completing all the 14 Days of Summer challenges will land you an extra reward as it comes to a close, so make sure you keep up-to-date!

  • Upcoming Fortnite mode teased through in-game load screens – Dexerto

Upcoming Fortnite mode teased through in-game load screens With Fortnite patch v9.30, dataminers were able to uncover a whole lot about the future of the game, including the ‘The Blues’ limited-time mode, and new in-game loading screens show that it could be here soon. Outside of the traditional battle royale game modes in Fortnite, Epic Games features a variety of other modes for the more casual players, and to show off many of the ways their game can stand apart from the competition. One of these new LTMs, or limited-time modes, is called The Blues, and while it hasn’t officially been announced, it sounds like we have a lot of evidence pointing to its existence. Dataminers have discovered the mode in the files with the v9.30 update, including skins and various cosmetics, and now players are seeing a load screen for the mode in the Solid Gold LTM. From the sounds of things, The Blues LTM will work very similar to how the Solid Gold one currently does, but just with different items. The storm will move a bit quicker and farming rates will be increased to make for some speedier matches. What is The Blues? The Blues LTM will take every item in the match and make it the Blue rarity so you won’t be seeing things like the Scar or Boom Bow make appearances here. Read More: Top 10 players who didn’t qualify for the Fortnite World Cup – Ninja, Cloak, Chap and more – However, the Combat Shotgun and Drum Gun will both be here so it’s not like the endgame meta will feel all that different. No release date has been given for this LTM and with Epic Games employees currently on a vacation, it could be a little while before it’s introduced, unless it’s scheduled to go live over the break.

  • Where to find Fortnite Iron Man jetpacks – Dexerto

Where to find Fortnite Iron Man jetpacks Epic Games/Disney/MarvelAfter many long months, the fan-favorite jetpack has finally been re-added to Fortnite. This time however it’s straight from Iron Man, due to the special Marvel-themed season. Here’s a simple guide for how you can get your hands on the item. [jwplayer uZppK6qI] One of the more interesting and least-hated items added to Fortnite since its launch is the jetpack. After being available in normal modes for a while, the item quickly became a fan-favorite, and getting one was pretty much required if you wanted to stand a chance in the final couple circles. Epic Games decided to remove the item back in 2018 and instead, limited it to a number of different LTMs. Now, it seems like the developer has at least temporarily reversed course, as the item is now spawning in the base game again with a Marvel-themed twist. What is the Iron Man jetpack? From everything we’ve seen, it appears as if the Iron Man jetpack operates basically the same way the older jetpack did back in 2018, and that this new item is basically just a simple cosmetic re-skin. The jetpack takes the slot of one of your items on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. If you want to use it though, you don’t have to have the item selected. All you need to do is jump and then hold down the jump button in order to raise yourself into the air, allowing you to use your weapons. Operation, as expected, is fairly simple. Where can I find the Iron Man jetpack? Apparently, the only place to find the Iron Man jetpack is as floor loot appearing randomly around the map for the moment. There doesn’t appear to be any specific, sure-fire, place to find it, so you’ll just have to keep looking until it pops up. The item also doesn’t seem to show up from chests, which means it’s even harder to find than some weapons and other items. Of course, this could all change as time goes on. It’s currently unknown how long the item will be in the game for, although logic would dictate that the longest it would be available would be the end of the current season given its Marvel theme.

  • TSM Myth details how to improve chests in Fortnite – Dexerto

TSM Myth details how to improve chests in Fortnite TSM Myth wants major changes to come to chests in Fortnite that would prevent grey items from showing up in them. Fortnite has added in numerous items since its launch which can be a little overwhelming to newer or returning players. Due to the abundance of new items, some of bound to show up in chests but that might not always be a good thing. If you’ve noticed, grey items have a tendency to show up in chests which are certainly not things you’re hoping to find when you open up a chest. TSM Myth is calling for an end to this by completely removing grey items in chests. Grey weapons shouldnt be allowed in chest, like and retweet please. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) March 10, 2019 Myth sent out a tweet asking for the removal of grey items in chests which has garnered over 14,000 likes, showing a large portion of the community agrees with him. With all of the new and powerful items in the game, there’s really no reason for grey items to have any sort of appearance in chests as they are already prevalent enough as floor loot. Chests are difficult to come by in the later portions of the game which makes finding a grey item even more disappointing than it is when you find one in the early game. Some players have taken the argument to another level by saying grey weapons should be removed from Fortnite entirely. That seems like a big stretch to take so we’ll stick with removing grey items from chests for now.

  • Twitch’s TimTheTatman gives perfect analogy of Fortnite’s v8.20 update – Dexerto

Twitch’s TimTheTatman gives perfect analogy of Fortnite’s v8.20 update Popular Twitch streamer Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar has provided a fitting summary of the current situation of Fortnite, as the backlash over the v8.20 update continues. TimTheTatman has made a name for himself on Twitch over the past year or so by playing Fortnite, often collaborating with other big names such as Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins or Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop. His combination of charisma and talent has led to him being one of the most popular Twitch creators, with over 3.5 million followers on the streaming platform. The Fortnite community, Tim included, have been generally critical of the Fortnite v8.20 update, that was implemented by Epic Games on March 27. The update saw a number of popular Season 7 changes, such as a 50 HP bonus after eliminating an opponent and an increased material farming rate, being removed. 600On March 30 Tim relayed his frustrations with the update in a tweet, arguing that “Pubs [public matches] are boring and arena is sweaty… can’t really hop on and just casually enjoy Fortnite anymore”. He finishes the tweet by saying that the current situation is upsetting for him because he loves Fortnite. The v8.2 update saw the addition of ‘Arena’ modes to Fortnite, which still have the ruleset of later Season 7, such as the health bonus and increased farming rate. However, the playlist is intended for more competitive Fortnite players, and as such tends to be more difficult to play casually in. Pubs are boring and arena is sweaty… can’t really hop on and just casually enjoy fortnite anymore.. sad cause I love the game…:disappointed: — timthetatman (@timthetatman) March 30, 2019 One Twitter user however, replied to Tim, enquiring why he is so unhappy with Fortnite when the streamer enjoyed it for so long prior to the changes being made in Season 7. “What did you do for over a year when health on elim wasn’t around?” he asked. Betar then went on to provide a perfect analogy for the current situation, replying that he “didn’t have it?” He goes on to argue that he used to love his “razr flip phone”, but now he is used to his smartphone, he would never use the flip phone again, as the smartphone is inherently better. I didn’t have it? For example.. when I was younger I had a razr flip phone and I LOVED it… but once I finally got a smartphone… I liked it way more… so now (obviously) I’m not going to use the razr even though I loved it before I had my smartphone..https://t.co/UXZM1VNogf — timthetatman (@timthetatman) March 30, 2019 It comes just hours after Ninja posted a poll asking whether the community thinks the patch should be reverted or not – and over 85% of the 270,000 votes have said they believe the update should be reverted. Tim’s point summarises how a large portion of the community feels, with other prominent figures such as ‘NoahJ456’ and ‘dakotaz’ responding positively. There has, as of yet, been no response from developers Epic Games on the update, but given the extent of the community’s displeasure, it is likely we will see an official response soon.

  • Top five Fortnite Battle Royale in-game events – Dexerto

Top five Fortnite Battle Royale in-game events Brought to you by Fortnite Battle Royale Collection Mini Figures from Moose Toys, which you can discover more about here. There have been some memorable and iconic in-game events in Fortnite Battle Royale, and here are our picks for the top five best ones. Fortnite Battle Royale has brought a lot of new and unique things to the world of online gaming, one of which have been dynamic in-game events. Starting as early as Season 3, Epic Games introduced these events as a way to mark the start of something new in the game’s map and lore, and they’ve progressively gotten more and more complex and intricate as the seasons have rolled by. 5. Ice Storm Event The Ice Storm event took place during Season 7, and saw the mysterious ice sphere that had been floating above Polar Peak finally burst open to reveal the formidable Ice King. Thanks to the Ice King’s incredible power, the entire map was covered in snow for a period of time, adding an interesting visual dynamic to a lot of the well-known locations. Read More: Fortnite Battle Royale v9.10 Update patch notes – Hot Spots, Jordan collaboration and more – The reason this event isn’t ranked higher is because it did have some negatives, such as the snowy mist that frustratingly limited visibility and the Ice Legion zombie creatures that spawned all over the map. 4. Volcano Eruption + Nexus ‘Unvaulting’ Event The most recent of in-game events saw the massive volcano on the map erupt and destroy two iconic locations on the map – Tilted Towers and Retail Row – and that was only a half of it. The other part of the event involved players getting the chance to vote for one of six vaulted weapons or items to be brought back into the game, and the Drum Gun was ultimately the weapon picked. 3. “Butterfly” Event Towards the end of Season 6, the iconic Kevin the Cube settled into Loot Lake and began to melt/leak its contents into the lake, turning the water purple. After the Cube was finally empty, it began to spin and emit white light, eventually exploding and transporting players into a mysterious, never-before-seen place where everyone was floating and coming into contact with glass butterflies, hence the name. Eventually, players were taken back to the map, and given their first ever glimpse of the brand new Leaky Lake location that replaced the old one. 2. Rocket Launch Arguably the most anticipated event in the game’s history, the Rocket Launch that took place in Season 4 will never be forgotten by the players who had the chance to witness it live. After being hyped up and teased for several days, the massive Rocket found in the Villain’s Lair in Snobby Shores was finally activated by the Visitor and launched straight up into the sky, creating several giant cracks in the heavens. The event also marked the beginning of a major period of change on the map, as not only did things begin to disappear from that moment on, but the crack in the sky ended up producing Kevin the Cube. This event does have a case for being ranked first, except for the fact that weapons and shooting were enabled during the launch, so players were able to ruin each others’ viewing experience, and one player even managed to set the world record for most eliminations during the spectacle. 1. Marshmello Concert It would be hard to argue against the Marshmello Concert being the top ranked in-game event so far, considering how massive of an achievement it was for Epic Games. Added into the game as a character, the popular DJ hosted an incredible concert in Pleasant Park for players to enjoy, and it will certainly be a day to remember in the game’s illustrious history. According to reports, 10.7 million concurrent players were present at the concert across the world, which is by-far the biggest day Fortnite BR has had to this day.

  • Tfue lashes out at Hogman and other Fortnite pros for “”griefing”” in tournament – Dexerto

Tfue lashes out at Hogman and other Fortnite pros for “”griefing”” in tournament Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left furious with the playstyle of another team of pros during a recent trios tournament – calling them out for griefing. Despite being one of the best Fortnite Battle Royale players in the world, not even Tfue can waltz his way into winning every game – he can still fall to the game’s infuriating RNG [Random Number Generator] and the actions of other pros. That randomness was on full display as he tried to dominate the $25K Nerdout! Trios tournament but fell way short, laying the blame partly on the playstyle of fellow pro players. During his July 20 stream, Tfue had been competing in the lucrative Trios event alongside Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod and FaZe Clan’s Josue ‘Sway’, when they ran into trouble with an opposing team as they attempted to move towards the main zone. “What the fuck are these guys doing? Fucking idiots,” Tfue called out as they blew up his Quadcrasher and immediately jumped into a fight with his trio. The Fortnite star repeated his line of questioning once he had been eliminated and tried to offer up an explanation. After being told that it was likely a solo player, Team Secret’s ‘Fuzzy’ and Michael ‘Hogman’ Hogman, Tfue continued: “They’re just fucking griefing. Are these kids really just fucking hiding dude? Bro, what the fuck is this game?” Despite having one of his teammates still alive in the match, the Fortnite star was still visibly angry with what had just happened and tried to figure out why the enemy players had taken the gunfight. “The storm was pushing bro – literally on us, right then,” he added, explaining to Clix why he was right to run away by himself. “These kids are fucking challenging fifty-fifties. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Hogman.” Of course, the play had a major impact on Tfue’s trios chances of winning as they eventually fell short of the rewarding top three spots. All of the Fortnite star’s focus will be towards the upcoming World Cup even where he will look to dominate his fellow pros and take home the top prize of $3 million.

  • Top 10 TSM Daequan Fortnite moments – Dexerto

Top 10 TSM Daequan Fortnite moments We’re looking back at some of Team SoloMid’s Fortnite superstar Daequan’s iconic moments from throughout his career. In the world of Fortnite, there are not many names bigger and more recognizable than that of Daequan. One of Team SoloMid’s original four Fortnite pro players, Daequan set the bar high when it came to the popular battle royale: popularizing the famous “Double Pump,” winning a multitude of tournaments and constantly injecting comedy into his content. Despite the superstar streamer’s long absences in 2019 due to health problems, he remains one of the most popular content creators out there, so we’ve compiled ten of the best moments ever from his stream. 10. Playing with his Food Coming in at number 10 is a classic from July 2018, as Daequan had one opponent left standing in the way of his Victory Royale. As usual, the TSM star played with his food, yelling at the helpless enemy before beaming him with a Compact SMG. 9. Airborne snipe ahoy! It wasn’t often that Daequan would be on the wrong end of a stellar play in Fortnite, but as number 9 shows, that still happened from time to time. He paid the price for being unable to finish off a kill as the enemy player boosted high into the air and shot him down with a miraculous snipe. 8. Fall damage not included Number 8 features one of Daequan’s more hilarious reactions to an awful bug in Fortnite. Launching high into the air, he expertly beamed down an enemy player but then somehow died to fall damage, even though the Bouncer’s fall protection was still in effect. 7. It’s a Trap! When it comes to ironic moments, as number 7 shows, Daequan’s streams were certainly never lacking. After getting two kills with a single trap, the TSM star danced his way into his own death. By another trap, of course. 6. Overconfidence will be your undoing Coming in at number 6 is another example of Daequan’s cockiness proving to be his own demise. Once again, he decided to play with his food instead of just going straight for the Victory Royale and ended up paying the ultimate price. 5. Doo-Doo destroyed! Number 5 features one of Daequan’s more popular phrases “doo doo,” in this instance using it to express how badly he destroyed an enemy player. Using a Shockwave Grenade to fly through the air, he landed some expert shots to secure the elimination before landing back down. 4. It’s NERF or Nothin’ For number 4 we step away from gameplay and instead focus on Daequan’s comedic camaraderie with TSM teammate Hamlinz. While wearing an old man wig, he fended off a surprise attack from Hamlinz and used his NERF gun to force him out of the room. 3. Ninja? Never heard of him. Number 3 takes a trip down memory lane and into the first months of Fortnite. Daequan, in the process of establishing a name for himself, beamed down Ninja in an end-game gunfight and followed it up with some classic trash talk. 2. Bouncing Grapples At number 2 we have a prime example for why Daequan, in his day, was considered one of the best Fortnite players in the world. Expert use of both the Bouncer and Grappler saw the TSM star win an incredible gunfight and secure a tough Victory Royale with the storm closing in. 1. Ninja the Hype Man As the face of the Double Pump movement, it’s only fitting that the number one moment from Daequan’s streaming career features him using and abusing the mechanic to finish off a trio of players by himself and getting the Victory Royale from a seemingly unwinnable situation. Oh, and it helps that Ninja was hyping him up the whole time. There you have it – ten of the best moments from Daequan’s streaming career. The TSM star has already announced his plans to make 2020 “his year,” so expect a lot more comedy, expert gameplay, and spicy trash-talk in the upcoming year. Want more Daequan content? Watch our story on how he made it big below!

  • Tfue discovers major shockwave grenade bug in Fortnite the hard way – Dexerto

Tfue discovers major shockwave grenade bug in Fortnite the hard way Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney was left stunned by a strange bug as his Shockwave Grenade didn’t activate, leading him to an unfortunate death. Despite being one of the most popular games in the world, Fortnite Battle Royale is not invulnerable to bugs. Players have reported seeing enemies turn invisible in-front of their eyes and even having problems building in Season 10. These errors don’t just affect casual players looking for a victory royale, however, as the top-level competitive players suffer issues too. Stars like Tfue have already made their concerns known about the frustrating BRUTE Mech, but when they’re not worrying about those vehicles, their attention switches to problems that deny them the chance to get one over on their fellow pros. During his August 9 broadcast, Tfue had been playing in Trios competition alongside duo partner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore and Team Liquid’s Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan. The team had been closing in on a win during a late-game moving and shrinking circle when they tried to navigate around gunfights without really trying to take anybody head-on. After picking up a sneaky elimination on an unaware player, Tfue attempted to shockwave grenade his way into the safe zone – but ran into some resistance from the grenade itself. His first attempt sent him hurtling into a pre-built structure outside of the circle, while the second didn’t activate at all. That left Tfue at the mercy of other players and ultimately led to death. “This shit didn’t fucking work. What the fuck,” he called out after punching his desk. “This game is so trash. It freezes and my shockwave doesn’t even activate bro,” Tfue said, frustrated, “this game is so dogshit.” Members of his chat pointed out that the shockwave did activate, as the lines that appear on the ground when it explodes briefly showed up under Tfue. Regardless, it didn’t quite send him flying through the sky as it should have, showing that there might just be another problem for Epic Games to figure out ahead of their next update. Despite the frustrating error, the former FaZe Clan star soldiered on with him stream for a little while longer, continuing the trios action without any more desk punches.

  • Team Liquid’s 72hrs reveals why he decided to make the jump into Fortnite esports – Dexerto

Team Liquid’s 72hrs reveals why he decided to make the jump into Fortnite esports Tom ’72hrs’ Mulligan, one of the more well-known Fortnite esports competitors, has shared new information regarding how he got his start in streaming. If you’ve followed the Fortnite esports scene at all then you’re probably familiar with the name Tom Mulligan, better known in Fortnite as 72hrs. He first competed in the Summer Skirmish but has since become a staple in the Fortnite esports community. 72hrs held an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit where he answered questions from fans about himself and playing Fortnite, giving an in-depth look into the inner working of one of the most popular players in the world. He was able to share a lot of insight into why he got started streaming and when he realized he would be able to make a living playing and streaming Fortnite. 72hrs mentions he has been playing Fortnite since Season 2 meaning he has seen many changes come to the game and has been part of its growth. One fan asked when it clicked that Fortnite could become a career option for him, to which 72hrs had the following response. I was streaming Dead by Daylight to some success as a twitch streamer. I started to hate the game as it became more and more simple/straightforward. It felt really stagnant. I was messing around with H1Z1 and eventually moved to Fortnite. I played a lot with Cloakzy and he came to me wanting to make a team as orgs were reaching out to him. Once he told me he wanted to play with me, I started taking the game a lot more seriously and grinding it to become a good player. Most people back then really didn’t think I was any good, and they were probably right. Even in the beginning of the team, I think people questioned why he would pick me and they wanted a different player to be on the team. Cloakzy believed in me and I didn’t want to let him down so I made sure to grind and review/research as much as I could about shooters, Fortnite, and improving. So I would say I owe a lot of my success to Cloak as he got me into the scene and believed in me as a player. It’s hard to picture 72hrs ever playing a game like Dead by Daylight and it’s interesting to hear the reason he stopped playing it was because it started to become stagnant. Many would argue as the skill gap has closed in Fortnite that it too has started to become stagnant as many players you run into all know how to build well. 72hrs has shown no indication that he is slowing down in Fortnite so look for him to remain a mainstay in the community going forward.

  • Tfue claims he’s “”about to uninstall”” Fortnite after BRUTE mech suit rage – Dexerto

Tfue claims he’s “”about to uninstall”” Fortnite after BRUTE mech suit rage Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was enraged so much by the brand new BRUTE mech suits that he claimed he is “about to uninstall” the battle royale title. After weeks of waiting and rampant speculation, fans finally got their hands on Season X on August 1, as Epic Games embarked on one of the biggest changes in the game’s history. Aside from classic map changes and new weapons, the developers introduced the BRUTE vehicle – a Mech with missiles, a shotgun, and 1000 health points – in the V10.00 update. Fortnite players, professional and casual alike, have already made their opinions known about the new Mech – and they’re not particularly happy about it either. It’s even prompted Tfue to consider if he wants to carry on playing the battle royale – which takes some doing. During his August 2 stream, the former FaZe Clan star had been dabbling in matches alongside duo partner Dennis ‘cloak’ Lepore and fellow streamer Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, and searching for victory royales. The trio seemed on the ropes in one game, with DrLupo being handed an elimination before they reached a top-five situation – and encountered a BRUTE. Tfue rained down bullets on the Mech, hoping to see it blow up – yet, it quickly turned its power on him “Oh my God,” moaned Tfue, after knocked out by the all-new BRUTE. “This game is so bad, bro. I’m about to just uninstall.” While he couldn’t help but rage when the Mech ruined him, Tfue also saw the funny side of things when Cloak was left reeling by one. The Fortnite star caught a glimpse of his duo partner doing battle with a BRUTE at Dusty Depot, before the vehicle destroyed part of the area with ease. While Cloak raged, seemingly slamming his desk, Tfue was left giggling uncontrollably while trying to speak. Regardless of finding it funny, it’s clear that players are not fans of these Mechs and will try their hand at forcing Epic to make a change, like how they did with a Infinity Sword, which was eventually removed after backlash. Whether Epic listens or not remains to be seen, but, considering the BRUTE played a big role in the pre-season X teasers, it is probably here to stay.

  • Strange pirate anchor found buried under Fortnite’s Dusty Divot – Dexerto

Strange pirate anchor found buried under Fortnite’s Dusty Divot Excavation work has continued at Dusty Divot, with Fortnite fans discovering a large anchor buried in the dirt at the location, likely tying in to Fortnite’s overarching Season 8 story. Epic Games regularly update and refresh the Fortnite map throughout the season, adding new locations and remodelling areas around the island. Epic Games do this as a way of keeping the game fresh, in the hope that Fortnite players won’t grow bored of the areas in which they battle if they are constantly evolving. What’s going on at Fortnite’s Dusty Divot? Throughout Season 8, excavation sites have appeared across the map, including one inside Dusty Divot, which can be found near the center of the island. A number of trucks and diggers can be seen parked around a large dig site, which had previously acted as part of the lab that appeared there following the meteor crash. These sites have appeared in a number of locations, with Fortnite players able to use their harvesting tools to help break down the dirt that sits on top to reveal what’s hidden. The dig sites had already been leaked, but what was underneath remained unknown. What has been found at Dusty Divot? Fortnite players who head to Dusty Divot will be able to peer into the massive hole that’s been burrowed into the landscape at Dusty Divot, but might be surprised by what they see. While Lazy Lagoon in the north of the map is widely regarded as the Pirate outpost in Fortnite, a large anchor has been uncovered by the machinery, much to the confusion of fans. What does the anchor at Dusty Divot mean? It’s currently unclear what the anchor found at Dusty Divot means, but it’s almost certainly part of the overarching theme for Season 8, which includes Pirates as a part. The discovery seems to indicate that while Fortnite fans may have only become aware of pirates in the world of Fortnite at the start of Season 8, they may have been on the map for a long time – perhaps even before we were. Only time will tell what these sites and the items found there have to do with the rest of Season 8, but it’s unlikely that Fortnite fans will have to wait too long to find out.

  • Shroud explains why Fortnite is the best game to go pro in – Dexerto

Shroud explains why Fortnite is the best game to go pro in Top Fortnite Battle Royale is the best game to go pro in as a new esports athlete. Before surging to popularity on Twitch, shroud was a part of Cloud 9’s quest for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive glory, with some of the best mechanical skills in the game. While he never claimed a Major or dominated all that much, he was clearly a feared opponent and bagged a handful of titles along the way. So, when it comes to offering advice to budding pros about taking that next step, the Canadian star clearly knows what he is talking about. During his July 15 stream, shroud had been waiting to load into another game of Apex Legends‘ ranked mode when one viewer asked if he would consider making a return to competitive play in a battle royale game. While the streamer quickly dismissed that idea, explaining that it would be easier in other games, he zeroed in on Fortnite and Epic Games rewarding pros for losing. “I think Fortnite is your best bet for battle royale if you’re trying to come up as a pro because it’s just free money – even if you lose, you win,” started the former CS:GO player. He continued: “Not many games are like that – if you lose, you win but Fortnite is one of them because they don’t know how to make their game and they just have this pile of cash and they’re like ‘play’”. It’s clearly a belief that shroud feels strongly about as it’s not the first time that he’s given credit to the competitive Fortnite community. Back in June, the popular streamer went as far as saying that the “next superpower breed of gamers” are going to stem from Fortnite because of their speed and awareness. Now, of course, that doesn’t mean that just anybody can drop what they’re doing and become the top Fortnite player in the world, there is a huge talent gap behind the very best players. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenner, widely considered one of the best pros in the world, is able to build structures unlike anyone else as well as spot loot from the spawn island without breaking a sweat. Despite that, shroud’s comments might not be too wide of the mark, considering that every player who has qualified for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup solo matches is guaranteed to make $50,000 even if they finish dead last. The winner of the finals, whoever that might be come July 28, will walk home with a cool $3 million, but that will be thanks to their hard work in preparing and perhaps some slight luck from the RNG gods.

  • Shroud reveals bleak outlook for Fortnite competitive’s future after World Cup – Dexerto

Shroud reveals bleak outlook for Fortnite competitive’s future after World Cup Fortnite Battle Royale pro players have reached out to him to discuss their plans heading into the $30 million CS:GO, PUBG, and others, was streaming Apex Legends on April 16 when he made his viewers aware of comments that had been made in private between himself and other pros. Shroud claims that the Fortnite World Cup might be the last fans see of many pro players, as they’ve grown frustrated with the state of the game’s competitive play. 600Shroud reveals plans for pro players after Fortnite World Cup “They’re kind of lost with how to please their pro scene, but they don’t really care. That’s obvious,” shroud said during an on-stream discussion about Epic Games’ popular battle royale title. He added: “A lot of pro players have messaged me saying like ‘yeah we’re quitting after the [Fortnite] World Cup shit and I’m like ‘Really, they’re just going to throw more money in’ and they’re just going to play again.” Epic Games are offering incredible prize pools On the point of prize money, Epic Games might not satisfy every member of the game’s competitive scene, but the developer has certainly gone above and beyond in 2019 – with a total of $100 million in earnings up for grabs during the course of the year. One of the highest earning pro players, FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, has already indicated that he may take a step away from the competitive scene and just focus on casually streaming on Twitch moving forward. Whether or not that will happen, though, remains to be seen. It’s unclear how many competitors have reached out to shroud and he hasn’t revealed any names of those who have made clear that their intentions are to quit the game. Nevertheless, it’s very much a warning sign for anybody connected with Fortnite esports. The Fortnite World Cup qualifiers kicked off on April 13 and weekly tournaments will take place, each of which have a $1 million prize pool, and will come to an end on June 16.

  • Players report major issues with Fortnite Chapter 2 on console – Dexerto

Players report major issues with Fortnite Chapter 2 on console Fortnite Chapter 2 has arrived on every platform but PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players are all reporting major problems with the game. Ever since Fortnite launched, it has never been the most demanding game in terms of hardware required, but it still always performed the best on PC. For the most part, the console performance wasn’t too shabby, but with the implementation of Chapter 2, players have been having massive problems with the way the game runs, to the point that it’s not even enjoyable anymore. Reddit user ‘Nimbl_’ captured all the problems they’ve been experiencing such as item glitches, performance glitches, and slowdowns, all in one clip. To make matters even worse, they aren’t the only ones who have been experiencing issues like this, but it’s a lot more widespread than that. The bottom line here is that console performance for Fortnite Chapter 2 is currently a bit of a mess, especially for those using base PS4, and Xbox Ones. The enhanced consoles are able to get a bit better performance, but it’s still not great. While Chapter 2 performance isn’t perfect on the Switch, it’s worth mentioning the game has never really run well on Nintendo’s handheld. For starters, the game is targeting just 30 frames-per-second on the Switch, down from 60 on every other platform – including mobile. It’s disappointing to see that performance has dropped to this level with the start of a new season and we hope the team at Epic will be able to right the ship. Fortnite has certainly grown a lot from its debut back in 2017, and perhaps it’s becoming too much for the current generation of consoles to handle. We’re still about a year out from the next-gen so hopefully, it’s something Epic can fix so Fortnite will be enjoyable again on consoles.

  • How to rotate quickly with Fortnite’s Baller vehicle – Dexerto

How to rotate quickly with Fortnite’s Baller vehicle Fortnite’s latest patch added a new vehicle into the game and while it’s not an offensive juggernaut, it does have its uses when it comes to mobility. Among the changes introduced with Fortnite’s v8.10 one of the largest is the introduction of the new Baller vehicle. This vehicle certainly isn’t as powerful as the Stormwings were but the Baller makes up for this with its interesting mobility. We’ve seen the Baller is able to combo with a Pirate Cannon, resulting a lot of distance being covered in a short time, all while bringing the Baller along. The Pirate Cannon isn’t the only way to rotate quickly with the Baller though, as now more options have been discovered. Another new addition to Season 8 of Fortnite is the volcano point of interest. This location took the place of Wailing Woods and is also the site of our next rotation trick with the Baller. Reddit user dwarvencactus uploaded a video to show how to use the volcano and Baller to go anywhere you want. The video shows how the Baller can ride the lava all the way up into the air if you hit it at the right spot. From there you’ll be able to eject from the Baller and glide to pretty much any place on the map. If you still have questions after seeing the video, the original poster laid out exactly what is being done. “You just drive into the main lava waterfall, there is a sweet spot which will send you up into the sky,” dwarvencactus wrote. “But make sure you don’t go too high or you die.” The Baller has certainly shown its worth the first few days it has been available and there’s no telling what players will uncover next.

  • Fortnite: Ninja and Tfue slam Heavy Assault Rifle after v8.10 nerfs – Dexerto

Fortnite: Ninja and Tfue slam Heavy Assault Rifle after v8.10 nerfs Fortnite recently nerfed the Heavy Assault Rifle but this has been contested by two of the biggest Fortnite streamers – Ninja and Tfue. As part of Fortnite’s v8.10 update, several changes came into the game. While most players focused on the new additions, like the Baller vehicle, there were also some players that focused on the nerfs. The Heavy Assault Rifle was met with a huge nerf as the damage and rarity of the item were changed. Here’s what happened to the Heavy Assault Rifle, as per the recent patch notes: Adjusted rarity from Rare/Epic/Legendary to Common/Uncommon/Rare – Base damage scaling for Common/Uncommon/Rare 36/38/40 – It went from being one of the rarest weapons in the game to becoming one of the most common. Ninja tried out the gun following the release of the v8.10 update and quickly expressed his displeasure with the gun. “What is this AK right now,” he said. “I aimed right at him and missed every shot.” (Ninja’s comments begin at the 0:10 mark of the video) “The Green AK is weird, man, I don’t know, I wish they could somehow have kept the color and changed the damage,” Ninja continued. Right after Ninja speaks on the Heavy Assault Rifle, Tfue’s clip shows right after, at about 50 seconds in. 100 Thieves Kenith had to tell Tfue it was nerfed but after learning the news he was surprised. “Damn, so the Scar’s kinda meta, huh,” he said.”I didn’t even realize it until you said something.” It’s hard to tell exactly what impact this will have on the meta going forward since we’ve just spent one day with the nerfs so far. If the top streamers aren’t enjoying it then it’s certainly not a good sign. Only time will tell what will happen with this weapon going forward.

  • Myth pleads with Epic Games to not “”screw up”” Fortnite Season 11 – Dexerto

Myth pleads with Epic Games to not “”screw up”” Fortnite Season 11 Fortnite streaming star Ali ‘Myth’ Kabani has issued an incredibly hyped rallying cry for Season 11, pleading with Epic Games to not screw it up. The countdown to Fortnite Season 11 is almost at an end as fans have been gearing up for the finale event to Season 10. For weeks, players have been watching the Rocket be constructed at Dusty Depot as The Visitor completes whatever he has up his sleeve. As ever, a spanner was thrown in the works of Epic Games’ surprise as the Italian version of the Apple app store leaked ‘Fortnite Chapter 2’ on October 11 – which hinted at a new map and took the excitement up another notch. That hype was on full display as Myth himself kicked his new season stream off with a bang. A few minutes into his October 13 broadcast, the popular Fortnite streamer put himself in full view of his camera and started off a supremely hyped call to arms. “Yeah, Season 10 might have had Mechs, there might have been 300hp Ballers, Planes, even swords in the past brothers, but by good God’s might, let us clear the plate for Season 11!” Myth preached. “It is our time, it is what we were meant to do – we’ve been through the pain, and now we take on a journey to the future. Forward brothers!” Myth wasn’t finished there, though, as he turned his attention to how Fortnite players don’t want Epic Games to screw up the new season. “It is now our time, more than ever, as Fortnite gamers to rise up,” he continued “Epic, you have a valiant mission as a company – do not, and I mean, do not screw this up! “But, I don’t think you will I think you are prepared, I think you’ve trained, you’ve listened to the community enough. You’re ready and so am I – and that’s why I’m heading right into Season 11.” Whatever the developer has up their sleeve, be it a new map, or an even bigger overhaul, will be unveiled during the in-game ‘The End’ event. If you can’t jump into the battle royale and want to still watch the action unfold, don’t fret, as you can use our dedicated event hub to catch everything that happens.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite’s v8.20 update doesn’t stop “”thirsting”” – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite’s v8.20 update doesn’t stop “”thirsting”” Twitch giant Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has offered more of his thoughts on Fortnite’s controversial v8.20 update, and described why it does not prevent players from being instantly ‘thirsted’. Fortnite’s v8.20 update was implemented by developers Epic Games on March 27, and has been generally lamented by the gaming community, as it reversed a number of popular changes that were made during Season 7. The changes reversed include 50 HP granted upon elimination, an increased farming rate of 40%, and a guaranteed drop of 50 of each material when an opponent is killed. One of Fortnite’s most popular content creators, Ninja, has been very vocal in conveying his displeasure with the update, even going as far as to tweet a poll asking whether or not his followers think the update should be reverted or not. As his poll received significant interest and replies, Ninja tweeted again to address a theme in his replies, in which people pointed out that the removal of 50 HP upon elimination, discourages players from ‘thirsting’ opponents. ‘Thirsting’ refers to the instant elimination of an opponent after they have been ‘Knocked Out’, and are in their down-but-not-out state. Hence, some players argue that the 50 HP bonus on elimination encouraged people to instantly ‘thirst’ opponents, and that its removal is positive in this regard. However, Ninja disagrees. To everyone commenting on my last tweet saying “”getting thirsted right away isn’t fun”” spoiler alert… regardless of shield and mat siphon YOU ARE GETTING THIRSTED FOR YOUR GUN/MATS/SHIELD items YOU MIGHT HAVE regardless. — Ninja (@Ninja) March 31, 2019 “To everyone commenting on my last tweet saying “getting thirsted right away isn’t fun” spoiler alert…” he started. “YOU ARE GETTING THIRSTED FOR YOUR GUNS/MATS/SHIELD items YOU MIGHT HAVE regardless.” At the time of writing, the tweet stands at over 18,000 likes, and his poll has over 275,000 votes, highlighting the extent to which the community wants to see change. It is likely there will be an official Epic Games response soon. The silence from Epic Games over the update’s criticism is likely to be temporary, but has led to community speculation over other potential reasons why it was implemented into the hugely popular battle royale game. Epic stated that the changes had led to an “unhealthy level of aggressive play, diminishing other viable strategies”, but some community members clearly think ‘thirsting’ impacted the decision as well.

  • Major hitboxes glitch discovered hours ahead of Fortnite World Cup qualifiers – Dexerto

Major hitboxes glitch discovered hours ahead of Fortnite World Cup qualifiers A major glitch has been discovered in Fortnite Battle Royale, just before the start of the sixth weekend of World Cup qualifying matches. In any competitive setting, you’d ideally want your hitboxes to work properly, but this glitch that has just been discovered could end up playing a huge role in the World Cup qualifiers. With update v9.01, a patch that was pretty well-received by the community, came the new hitbox glitch that affects one popular build style in the game – the brick triangle structure. According to a video posted on Reddit on May 17, the brick triangles build settings offer more protection than they should. The video shows how a player can crouch behind the edit but be immune to what should be a clear headshot. There’s no telling what effect this will have on actual gameplay but it does appear to be a major issue going into this weekend’s qualifiers. It’s worth noting the player isn’t able to shoot form the other side of the wall like this so it does work both ways, as confirmed in the comments. Building is arguably the most important aspect of Fortnite Battle Royale and late-game circles in competitive modes rely on swift edits, which is where this glitch could end up posing a problem. Seeing as how the Oceania region begin their round one of qualifiers at 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET on May 18, the discovery of this glitch has certainly proved to be a very rude surprise. Vehicles disabled for qualifiers For those looking to qualify this weekend, they’ll have to be wary of the building glitch but also be aware that vehicles have been disabled. Epic Games announced there was a bug that prevented players from exiting vehicles so the decision was made to disable them completely. Due to an issue where players can become stuck in a vehicle and unable to exit, we will be disabling all vehicles in Arena Mode and the Fortnite World Cup Online Open through the weekend. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 16, 2019 The May 18-19 session of qualifiers will be the sixth of ten total qualifier weekends, with the format set to be Duos for the third time. With just four weeks of qualifiers remaining, the number of available spots in July’s Fortnite World Cup Finals is dwindling down, as the pressure to qualify for the best players in the world continues to mount.

  • More players accused of cheating during Fortnite World Cup qualifier – Dexerto

More players accused of cheating during Fortnite World Cup qualifier Two Fortnite Battle Royale players have been accused of teaming during Week Five of the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers for the North America West region. May 11-12 marked the fifth week of qualification to the Fortnite World Cup, with players reaching the halfway point in their attempts to secure a spot in New York for the incredibly huge, and lucrative, battle royale competitive event. While plenty of players were cursing their luck after falling short in qualifying, others were left furious by enemy players in their games. In particular, streamer Phillip ‘Philldown’ Le, who competed in the NA West portion and has accused two opponents of ‘teaming’ in solo matches. Philldown posted what he believes to be evidence of the teaming incident to the Fortnite Competitive subreddit on May 13, suggesting that his opponents ‘Oro’ and ‘Yermpy’ were teaming in a bid to manipulate their points tally, by ganging up other players. After the game was over, he went back to review the footage of why the two players were acting suspiciously in the match. Using the replay feature, Le fast-forwarded to his chase with the player known as ‘Oro’ and claimed that Oro was missing his shots on purpose, to not raise any suspicion of potential teaming. The streamer was left furious after he dealt damage to Oro, but the player jumped in a rift and looked to chase down another player, despite not being in any condition to do so. There’s another clip of the alleged teaming, too, which shows the aftermath of the players jumping through a Rift. As all three players landed, both Oro and Yermpy turned their attention to Philldown, he says, despite being almost next to each other. The streamer was able to eliminate Oro, before being gunned down by Yermpy. Clearly angered by the situation, Philldown moved to report both players after the game for teaming. While neither of the alleged teamers cracked the top spots in the qualifying round, it remains to be seen if Epic Games will take action against them, following the allegations. Rise Nation pro ‘XXiF’ was accused of teaming in Week 3 and later handed a 14 day competitive suspension by Epic. However, the developers are yet to respond to the allegations made towards Oro and Yermpy. This article will be updated if more information becomes available.

Leaked skins and cosmetic items from the Fortnite v8.40 update The Fortnite v8.40 patch saw the reintroduction of one of the game’s most controversial items, with the X-4 Stormwing plane making it’s return to the game as part of the brand new Air Royale Limited Time Mode. Also included were two new variants of the Infantry Rifle, alongside a number of bug and performance fixes that Epic Games hope will improve quality of life for fans of the popular battle royale title. While a large number of Fortnite fans will be excited by what Epic Games have announced for this update, data miners have already started to sift through the update files in search of hints as to what could be taking place in Fortnite. In the process, they have found a number of new cosmetic items that will be introduced to the game’s Item Shop in the near future, which are always a popular hit among fans who want to make their character stand out from the crowd. • Insane new Duos PC world record set for Fortnite Battle Royale – May 2019 – Dexerto

Insane new Duos PC world record set for Fortnite Battle Royale – May 2019 With a whopping 48 eliminations, the Fortnite Battle Royale Duos PC world record has been broken again by Bawx and Colson. The previous record of 46 eliminations probably looked untouchable to a lot of players but these two players managed to top it by two, bringing the new record to 48. For those keeping score at home, that’s nearly half the lobby of a match, which is no small feat. Bawx provided a video of the match from his partner Colson’s perspective. It’s going to be hard to top this With 48 eliminations, it’s going to take a gargantuan effort by another team to see if they can best this. What’s even more impressive is this record came after the vaulting of the Pump Shotgun, meaning the two players didn’t have it to rely on. One thing that is missing is Bawx’s perspective, something that he says was corrupted which is why the video from his partner’s view was provided. Bawx finished with 23 eliminations while Colson had 25, but the two didn’t even appear aware that a record had been broken when they set it, according to the description of the YouTube video. To top it all off, the pair came away with the Victory Royale, something that isn’t required to break records, but it certainly helps. We’ve seen more eliminations by a Duo before, as the records on PC and console are 52 and 51 respectively, but those came in the Squads playlist. Bawx and Colson set the record for most eliminations in the Duos playlist on PC. You can stay up to date on all of the records by visiting our Fortnite world records hub, which is always being updated to feature all of the current world records. It’s going be interesting to see records being broken going forward with the vaulting of the Pump Shotgun and the removal of siphon from the normal lobbies.

  • Leaked Fortnite LTM puts fresh twist on classic Call of Duty mode – Dexerto

Leaked Fortnite LTM puts fresh twist on classic Call of Duty mode A new twist on the popular Call of Duty-inspired Gun Game mode looks set to hit Fortnite in the near future. Epic Games loves to put a Fortnite-style twist on things we’ve seen in other games in the past. Be it things like their Team Rumble limited time mode, adding iconic weapons from other multiplayer titles or even seemingly taking inspiration for their in-game skins. Yet, it seems like they aren’t finished yet and could be retreading a well-walked path that has been made popular in a number of previous Call of Duty titles. What is Fortnite’s Reverse Gun Game LTM? According to a new leak from Fortnite dataminer FortTory, a new Reverse Gun Game LTM looks to be ready to launch in-game – with the dataminer tweeting an image of what it would look like in the game’s main menu. The apparent description for the mode reads: All players start with the same powerful weapon. Eliminating a player grants a weapon of slightly less power. The first to make it through every weapon, from best to worst, earns the Victory Royale!” With multiple kills being required to work your way up the ranks, it appears as if the LTM would be a respawn mode of some sort – marking a shift for Fortnite’s usual ‘you’re eliminated so move on to the next game’ format. Reverse Gungame LTM! How it will look like ingame! pic.twitter.com/L453TDw0RX — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 12, 2019 What weapons are in the Reverse Gun Game LTM? While the idea seems nailed down from Epic, little is known about the potential order of weapons that a player would start with or if the mode will cater to just solo’s, as FortTory’s image shows, of potentially squads and duos. It’s not hard to figure that players might start with the rare Heavy Sniper Rifle before working their way down to an Epic Assault Rifle and so on – dwindling all the way down to that dreaded common Pistol. Who knows, in a cruel twist of fate, you may even have to get your final kill using your chosen pickaxe. It just remains to be seen what order Epic sets for the LTM.

  • Incredible HUD customizer in Fortnite would give players full control of their screen – Dexerto

Incredible HUD customizer in Fortnite would give players full control of their screen A new Fortnite Battle Royale concept could give console and PC players the chance to customize their HUD layout in any way they so choose. While Epic Games’ super popular battle royale title has swept across the gaming world and into the mainstream like wildfire, it isn’t perfect. Fans and professional players have found plenty to pick out that they would like to see changed – with Epic putting some of those changes into action. However, there are still some ideas they may be out of the reach of Epic but would certainly make things interesting, if the developers could to pull them off. One such idea is the HUD Customizer from Easkate. The creative fan showed off their creation to the FortniteBR subreddit – noting that players would be able to fully customize their HUD in whichever way they would want. With the HUD Customizer, the days of having to squint to see parts of the map in the top-right hand corner of the screen or forgetting to check the bottom of your screen for your weapons would be long gone. Easkate showed that fans could choose to have a similar look to the esports broadcast in battle royale matches – meaning that the upper right-hand portion of the screen would see player’s names replaced by a team number. Read More: Fortnite: Where to ‘Search the tiny rubber ducky at hidden spot’ 14 Days of Summer challenge – There would also be the option to configure materials and prefabs in such a way that it would be even easier to build in creative mode – allowing for even more ingenious designs than normal. Plenty of Redditors praised Easkate’s HUD Customizer concept, with one commenting: “This is a great idea. Good job.” Others, though, doubted that Epic would even take the concept into consideration. Reddit user, The_Vipr, added: “We can’t even get an fov slider so I doubt they would ever do something like this. Great concept though.” Epic has taken fan-created ideas, like the Tender Defender skin and the Coconut health items, and put them in-game before. However, such a major change to the in-game look of the screen could be should that they have up their sleeves regardless of fan input.

Just like Minecraft Monday, Friday Fortnite has taken the worlds of YouTube and Twitch by storm as some of the most popular content creators teamed up with professionals for a chance to win cash. However, back on August 16, it was revealed that the event would be taking a break until the end of September because of Epic Games’ competitive play schedule. As ever, UMG’s Twitch channel will be the central hub for all the action, and so you don’t have to miss a moment of the tournament by changing broadcasts between games, we’ve added the main stream below for your convenience. If this returning tournament follows the payout splits of previous events, the champions will bag $6,000, the runners-up will take $3,000 home, and the third-placed team will split $1,000.

  • How to complete Fortnite 14 Days of Summer water balloon challenge – Dexerto

How to complete Fortnite 14 Days of Summer water balloon challenge The seventh challenge for the 14 Days of Summer event in Fortnite Battle Royale is now live and if you’re looking to complete it, you will have to know how to hit other players with water balloons. The 14 Days of Summer event has added some summer color to the Fortnite map and provided some new content, but having reached the halfway mark already, another challenge is now available for completion – to splash others with a water balloon. The Epic Games team, who are on a well-deserved break from their usual update schedule, may not have added the most difficult of challenges to the game in their absence. However, hitting other players with a water balloon tasks you with being able to equip balloons in the first place, and not everybody will know exactly how to do it. The challenge may sound pretty easy from the get-go but there are steps to getting your hands on these water balloons. Sadly, the items are not dotted around the map and you’ll have to complete a previous challenge to unlock them for yourself. Once you claim five Eliminations with the Daily Unvaulted Weapon – which, as of writing, is the Compact SMG – or a Drumgun, you will unlock the brand new water balloon toy in your item locker. Once it’s unlocked, equip the water balloon toy to one of your emote slots and drop into a game. However, you don’t need to worry about avoiding gunfire at Neo Tilted in order to complete this challenge. Simply find somebody standing still in the pre-game lobby and take aim at them. Of course, you can opt to complete the task during a match – and a hearty congratulations to anybody who succeeds – but it’s never a bad thing to take the easy way out, especially when it needs to be completed in three different sessions. In return for completing the daily task, you will receive a brand new loading screen and another notch in the quest to complete all 14 separate challenges. So, get out there and find an unlucky target to soak with your balloons!

  • How to find the secret Battle Star for Season 8, Week 9 Discovery challenge – Dexerto

How to find the secret Battle Star for Season 8, Week 9 Discovery challenge v8.50 update for the popular battle royale title dropped on Thursday, April 25, bringing with it a brand new Avengers Endgame Limited Time Mode as excitement builds to the release of the movie on April 26. Along with the new Endgame LTM, data miners have uncovered a number of new cosmetic items, alongside the Season 8 Week 9 loading screen, which will allow players to complete this week’s Discovery challenge. Where is the hint on the Season 8 Week 9 loading screen? Like every week, Epic Games have hidden a clue on the loading screen to direct players to where they need to go to find the Battle Star they’re searching for. Much like previous editions of the challenge, the developers have refrained from putting the actual location on the screen, but instead opted to provide a simple clue that players will have to decipher if they want to figure out where they need to go. This one is a little more difficult than in past weeks, but if you look just above the outstretched left arm of the Peely skin, you should be able to make out the shape of a boat etched into the walls of the cave they are in. If you’re struggling to spot it, we’ve marked it on the image below. Where is the hidden Battle Star for Season 8 Week 9? Players will be heading west to find this week’s hidden Battle Star, as it is located at the Viking Village which sits on top of a hill close to Polar Peak. The star is expected to appear in the main boat situated in the middle of the location, so finding it shouldn’t be too difficult once you get there. How to complete the Season 8 Week 9 Discovery challenge Complete all seven of the Fortnite Battle Royale Season 8 Week 9 challenges. – Unlock the loading screen as the reward for completing the challenges. – Head to the Viking Village west of Polar Peak. – Interact with the Battle Star, which can be found in the large ship. – Of course, players won’t be able to attempt this week’s Discovery challenge until they have completed all seven of the weekly challenges which will unlock in the game on April 25. If you have completed all seven though, this handy guide should let you jump in and receive your Battle Pass tier reward with ease.

  • High-flying Fortnite glitch has Snowmen sending players to the moon – Dexerto

High-flying Fortnite glitch has Snowmen sending players to the moon Snowmen are back in Fortnite Chapter 2 thanks to the recently released v11.30 update, however a new mechanic has led to a ridiculous bug that is launching players sky-high. The Sneaky Snowman item is back in Fortnite for another year of festive celebrations, allowing players to hide in plain sight or pick up a massive snowball that deals a good chunk of damage. However, being able to just pick up the snowball in itself has led to all sorts of wacky experiments of late. One such discovery has players ascending like never before and viewing the map from a brand new perspective. Placing the Rare item into the world of Fortnite will spawn in a cheerful snowman dressed in Christmas decor. Ignoring all of its charm, you’ll want to immediately hack away at the figure in order to break it down into an enormous snowball. The next step of the trick requires players to have a vehicle at the ready, a Motorboat to be precise. Hoisting the snowball overhead can lead to some awkward movement and the glitch can be especially challenging to pull off when in the midst of combat, so definitely ensure you’re not surrounded before making a start. However, as demonstrated by Reddit user ‘FoxyLEET,’ jumping into the vehicle at exactly the right angle with the snowball overhead, can break the game to an extent and fling your character well beyond the ordinary boundaries of the map. While the standard height limit is in place to maintain a sense of balance across the battle royale title, this quirky glitch sends players further than ever before and sets a new record for elevation in-game. Flying well above the map in just a matter of seconds, the Motorboat eventually scales high enough to see a number of distant islands as well as the curvature of the planet. Eventually drifting so far from the map that the player exits the safe zone, there’s no denying that this glitch is one of the more outrageous that Fortnite has ever seen. While there’s no telling whether the bug can be replicated at such an angle as to allow players to safely float back down, it’s definitely recommended that you only attempt this glitch if you have no intent of winning. This is not the only bug stemming from the recent addition of the holiday item, with another newly discovered exploit allowing players to generate seemingly limitless copies of the cheerful snowman.

  • Fox Business guest makes bizarre claim comparing Fortnite to heroin – Dexerto

Fox Business guest makes bizarre claim comparing Fortnite to heroin Fortnite has been back in the mainstream thanks to the $30 million World Cup tournament, meaning it’s been making rounds with news networks and Fox Business have sensationally likened the game to being addicted to heroin. Millions of viewers around the world tuned into the Fortnite World Cup where each participant was able to bring home a good chunk of cash, whether they came in first or last place. While Fortnite has proved to be a lightning rod of debate, with parents debating whether or not it’s good to let children play the game in their free time, Fox Business have taken the discussion to the next level. Making an appearance on Mornings with Maria, a show on Fox Business, Dr. Kathryn Smerling talked about how Fortnite is actually compared to drugs. “It is so addictive,” she said. “It is incredibly addictive. It has been likened to something like heroin. Even Prince Harry in Britain said ‘I don’t why anyone would have Fortnite in their home because it is like giving a child heroin’ and indeed it is, they have shown it be just as dangerous.” tfw Fox News does a better job representing video games and esports than Fox Business pic.twitter.com/APgkYMiRaB — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) July 31, 2019 It’s been a constant debate about whether videos games are good for children or not, and it’s been common for it to be linked to creating violence in the youth along with being addictive. If you thought that discussion would be put to rest once a wider audience saw how much money is to be made in the field then you would be greatly mistaken. Instead, the debate has been fueled again and parents are once again wary about how much time their kids should be spending on Fortnite and video games in general. The average age of players at the Fortnite World Cup was just 16 according to the official broadcast so it’s clear that players are playing at a much younger age than other traditional esports titles. However, a leap to considering Fortnite and video games as addictive as heroin seems to be a bit much. It definitely hasn’t stopped people from mentioning it as it’s not the first time it’s been said and will be far from the last. Research has shown that playing video games at a young age can help social growth and cognitive development, among many other things according to Psychology Today. It’s worth keeping in mind that there are lots of benefits to playing video games so there are definitely worse things your child could be doing, such as heroin.

  • Game-breaking Fortnite exploit lets players build in new Tilted Town – Dexerto

Game-breaking Fortnite exploit lets players build in new Tilted Town Fortnite v10.00’s content update introduced Tilted Town into the game, a place where you can’t build or harvest materials, but some players have already discovered a way around that. Say goodbye to Neo Tilted and hello to Tilted Town, a location that is based on the Wild West era of the United States. Epic Games went the extra mile with the aesthetic by only featuring old fashioned guns like the Hunting Rifle, and not allowing peoples to destroy or build anything. However, players have already found a way to break through the game’s boundaries and build in Tilted Town. Read More: First look at new Fortnite Tilted Town – All it takes is a well-placed floor, an edit, and then you are good to go and terrorize all of the unsuspecting players with no building materials. That sure didn’t take long. The second way involved a hoverboard, where you can stand on top of it and shoot it into Tilted, causing you to bypass the shield and bring all of your building materials into the new zone. Going into Tilted Town gives your player a special appearance to help go along with the theme, but now it also tells you who is following the rules. Epic Games have not yet addressed this issue but if the issue becomes more widespread, we expect to see a hotfix. With issues like this, Epic has usually been quick with the fixes, whether it’s disabling something or delivering a hotfix, so be on the lookout.

Fortnite World Cup Creative announced – How to qualify, prize pool and more Epic Games introduces the Fortnite World Cup Creative, a new event that features five different Creative trials, all built by community members. The Fortnite World Cup is now in full swing but Epic Games has introduced another event to appeal to the creative and innovative side of the community called Fortnite World Cup Creative. This new event will feature five different events, each with a new Creative trial and with all of them being built by members of the Fortnite community. FaZe Clan member Cizzorz, well known in the community for his Deathruns, will be building and judging the first trial. How to qualify for Fortnite World Cup Creative The path to the Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals feature the five different events which run from April 29 to June 7. Each trial gives players a chance to compete and submit their best clip to YouTube using a specific Trial-related hashtag that will be given out. New events are revealed every other week. For the first trial, players are encouraged to follow Cizzorz and Fortnite on Twitter for more information about the first trial. While we don’t yet know what his challenge will be, it’ll be hard to imagine it being anything other than another Deathrun. Fifteen participants will be selected to the Finals in total, which equates to three winners for each trial, who will then go to the World Cup Finals in New York City. How big is the prize pool? Epic Games put $100,000,000 up for grabs in 2019 for competitive play but they never specified that it would all be going to battle royale competitions. The Fortnite World Cup Creative prize pool will be $3,000,000 and each finalist will have a chance to win a chunk of that money.

  • Fortnite’s highest earner Bizzle threatens to quit the game completely after explosive rant – Dexerto

Fortnite’s highest earner Bizzle threatens to quit the game completely after explosive rant Ghost Gaming member Timothy ‘Counter-Strike after being eliminated during April 28’s Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. The qualifiers give all players an equal chance at making it to the Fortnite World Cup but it can result in some of the most frustrating moments for players as the stakes have never been higher. We saw this happen with Bizzle, who is already qualified for the World Cup, as he went off on both Epic Games and Fortnite after going out early in a match. “I want to play fucking Counter-Strike” Bizzle landed and grabbed only a pistol where he was then eliminated by an opposing player after Bizzle’s shots mostly all connected with an open door. “I don’t want to fucking play this anymore,” he said. “Fuck you, Fortnite, fucking shit game. I can’t believe I play this game. I want to play fucking Counter-Strike. I’m going back to competitive Counter-Strike.” While this rant did come when emotions were running high, you can certainly tell the frustration is something he’s been trying to hold in. The reality of the situation is competitive Fortnite still has a long way to go. A lot of players compete because of the large sums of money being thrown around but it’s getting harder to find players who play because they genuinely enjoy Fortnite. In fact, going into the World Cup qualifiers Bizzle was the top-earning Fortnite player. Players keep on holding out hope that Fortnite’s problems will be solved overnight but it looks like there is a long way to go for that to happen. Will pros quit after the World Cup? There are rumblings that some of the pros could be leaving Fortnite completely after the World Cup finishes. Shroud claims that many players have told him privately that was going to be the case. We still have a while to go before the World Cup wraps up and it’s entirely possible Fortnite will be in a better spot by the time it finishes. If the pros really do leave after the World Cup, however, Fortnite probably has a big problem on its hands.

  • Compilation of everyone hating the Fortnite V8.30 update – Myth, Ninja and more – Dexerto

Compilation of everyone hating the Fortnite V8.30 update – Myth, Ninja and more Fortnite is arguably in the worse state it’s ever been, since the launch of v8.30. This fan-made compilation shows what streamers have been saying about it. If you’ve been following Fortnite streamers and pro players for a while, then you may have noticed the majority of them aren’t happy about the state of the battle royale title. A lot of the criticism stems from Epic Games removing siphon from regular lobbies, the introduction of The Baller and numerous unfixed glitches that remain in the game. Players are not happy with Fortnite Many players have reached their boiling point with frustrations spilling over on stream or in long Twitter threads. This fan created a compilation of various clips from different streams, all showing the issues that are plaguing Fortnite. The video was uploaded to Reddit by user 2_clicks to the Fortnite Competitive subreddit. The video features many prominent faces such as Ninja, Myth doing his best Tyler1 impression and numerous other streamers showing off a plethora of problems still in the game. Some of the things you can look forward to seeing in the video are phantom shotgun bullets, players being eliminated through their builds, having the ability to build just blocked, among other things. Fortnite certainly has a long way to go for it to get back to a better state and with the World Cup beginning on April 14 with qualifiers, it looks like a lot of these issues will continue to be in the game going forward. The Ballers will be in Fortnite for at least the start of the World Cup I just want to say that if @FortniteGame keeps the Hamster Balls in the World Cup Qualifiers or Finals then the tournament will be an absolute joke. If you don’t understand why the hamster balls are noncompetitive and make for a terrible viewing and playing experience then idk… — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) April 12, 2019 Epic Games released a hotfix to nerf The Baller’s health on April 11, but a section of the game’s online community is still calling for an outright removal for them. It seems unlikely Epic Games will actually take them out of the game in the near future, as criticisms have been there from the start regarding the vehicle. Players probably didn’t anticipate a more annoying vehicle coming to Fortnite after the planes were removed, but that’s exactly where we are.

  • Fortnite Volcano set to erupt as leak reveals what aftermath will look like – Dexerto

Fortnite Volcano set to erupt as leak reveals what aftermath will look like Fans of Fortnite Battle Royale are gearing up for an eruption of the game’s Volcano that looks set to trigger another major in-game event and bring about huge changes to the current map. At the start of Season 8, Epic Games introduced sweeping changes to the battle royale island – removing the north-east location of Wailing Woods and replacing it with a huge Volcano that towers over locations such as Sunny Steps. Since its introduction to the game, fans have speculated about the future of the Volcano, specifically whether or not it would be the catalyst for the next set of map changes. It now appears as if they have the answer to that long-standing question. Volcano smoke becoming thicker Following the release of the recent v8.50 patch, a set of leaked files suggested that the volcano will, at some point, erupt and send meteors flying across the map. Those leaked files also included sound cues for what fans can expect to hear when the event begins. That appears to be the case as in-game photos show that the plume of smoke that had appeared above the volcano has begun to get thicker and thicker – maintaining it’s incredibly ominous look in both day and nighttime settings. Here’s how the Volcano appears in Day Time & Night Time! #Fortnite (Via @FortTory) pic.twitter.com/4oqBqk7p4K — Fortnite News (@FNBRHQ) April 28, 2019 Volcano eruption means destruction Data miners like FNBRHQ and FortTory also uncovered leaked files that showed the demise of fan-favorite locations Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Following the upcoming eruption, the pair are set to be ravaged by the debris of molten rocks that will be spat out of the Volcano. However, despite the huge amount of destruction that is on its way, it appears that one building will be left untouched – the ironically named “No Sweat Insurance” in Tilted Towers. As you saw from recent leaks, the “Volcano Eruption” will be destroying the entirety of Tilted Towers except one building, which will be the “No Sweat Insurance” Building! #Fortnite pic.twitter.com/Crv9sK8MIy — Fortnite News (@FNBRHQ) April 28, 2019 There is no date or time set for the upcoming explosion and in-game event but with more and more details coming to light – plus the increased plume of smoke from the volcano – it appears as if we’re in the endgame now.

  • The Fortnite ‘Trios vs Squads’ world record has finally been beaten in April 2019 – Dexerto

The Fortnite ‘Trios vs Squads’ world record has finally been beaten in April 2019 The Fortnite world record for most eliminations found by a trio in a squad match has been smashed – over six months since it was originally set. While Fortnite players are always searching for eliminations to secure victory royales on the popular battle royale title, an especially impressive performance can sometimes secure you a place in the history books. That has happened for a trio of players, who recently uploaded an incredible video that saw them demolish the Trios vs Squads world record that has stood since September 2018. What is the new Fortnite ‘trios vs squads’ world record? The new Fortnite ‘Trios vs Squads’ world record now sits at 56 eliminations, an incredible number considering that the team played with a one person disadvantage for the entirety of the game. The record appears to be set by a Japanese trio, with the team named Mauchaso, Ac.Qjac and kyaroninzin. This record of 56 defeats the old record by three, which was set by French professional Fortnite players NokSs, XMS and Renik since September. How did they break the record? To set records like this, teams must split and try to take down opponents solo, and thats exactly what Mauchaso, Ac.Qjac and kyaroninzin did, with the former heading straight to Retail Row in the hunt for kills. From there, he ended up rotating down to Paradise Palms, then across the map to the game’s final circle near Happy Hamlet, where he reunited with his teammates in the snowy biome to the southwest. The kill breakdown for the players was equally impressive, with all three hitting double figures with ease. The kills recorded by each player are as follows: kyaroninzin – 26 eliminations – Mauchaso – 16 eliminations – Ac.Qjac – 14 eliminations – Mauchaso, Ac.Qjac and kyaroninzin now join the impressive ranks of other world record holders who have shown their amazing skills to claim the top spot in their spespective categories. You can see a full list on our Fortnite world records hub. The impressive performance now thrusts them to the top of the world records list, but it’s unlikely they will be able to hold their crown without any challenges from other Fortnite trios.

Fortnite Season 9 challenges for weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10 leaked Fortnite‘s Season 9 challenges leak early almost every week, but one renowned dataminer has managed to obtain information on the challenges for the next four weeks. Fortnite Season 9 brought the new Slipstream wind transportation system, Fortbytes, the Mega Mall and Neo Tilted points of interest, and more. It has been the biggest season yet, and Epic seems to have no plan to slow down, adding in the John Wick cosmetics pack, and the new Storm Flip item weeks after the season first started. The v9.30 update just came out for all systems, alongside a ton of new leaked information dug out by dataminers, including the new Drum Shotgun, a bunch of cosmetics and skins, and the Air Strike item. In fact, you’ll need to use the new Air Strike item to complete one of Week 10’s challenges, according to a recent data mine by notorious Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi. The leaked lists haven’t been confirmed as 100% accurate, but judging from the accuracy of similar leaks in the past, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they were correct. • Fortnite Season 9 loading screens for weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10 leaked – Dexerto

Fortnite Season 9 loading screens for weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10 leaked The loading screens for Fortnite Season 9 weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10 have leaked, and they provide a lot of insight into the story, as well as which weeks could see hidden Battle Stars. The v9.30 update for Fortnite was released by Epic Games on June 18, and added a plethora of tweaks including the new Chug Splash item, the removal of the Shotgun delay, and more. Data miners have been combing the update files for new information and struck gold with the finding of upcoming cosmetics and skins, as well as the new Air Strike item. Infamous leaker Lucas7yoshi also stumbled across a new set of in-game loading screens, providing us with fresh insight as to what the story could look like across the next few weeks. The new loading screens help to tell the story of the season, often dropping hints about what is yet to come. Some include unreleased skins, while others can sometimes hide Battle Stars or other items in them, hinting at hidden and secret content. Week 7’s screen shows off the leaked Nitebeam skin, with the character being chased and sniped by enemies. There is a hidden Battle Star in the middle-left section just under the balcony, hinting that Pressure Plant could have a secret Star that week. This is just speculation, of course – we’ll be updating you with the location of any secret obtainable when more details come to light. The Week 8 loading screen is more lighthearted, with the classic Jonesy character playing an arcade cabinet with another character in the Peely banana skin. They both appear to be having the time of their lives. We can’t find any secrets in Week 8’s loading screen, so there might not be one that week. But who knows? Maybe Epic will surprise us. Week 9’s loading screen shows off the leaked Beach Bomber skin in her full glory. She’s also equipped with the data mined Brite Board item too, as she prepares to drop in to a skateboard ramp. If you look closely at the graffiti on the side of the ramp, you’ll notice a Battle Star above the car – a hint at a hidden Star for that week, possibly at the Mega Mall location. The leaked loading screen for Week 10 shows the Breakpoint character looking menacing as he vaults through a technical landscape, holding two guns. Fans believe that this could be a massive implication of the Dual Pistols being un-vaulted. This wouldn’t be the first time they’ve been taken out of the game and then put back again, so we’ll see – it wouldn’t be surprising. As always, take all leaks with a pinch of salt. Obviously it’s very hard to fake images like these, but until Epic Games announce the loading screens officially, there’s always room for error.

  • Fortnite set to receive new Air Strike item, according to leaks – Dexerto

Fortnite set to receive new Air Strike item, according to leaks Fortnite players will be getting their hands on the new Air Strike item in the near future, according to data mines by well-known leakers. Epic Games has just released Fortnite’s v9.30 patch, and with it came plenty of leaks including a new Drum Shotgun, and a whole horde of skins and cosmetic items. Data miners have now also dug up assets containing information on a new item coming to the game in the near future: the Air Strike. What is the Air Strike? While not much is known about the new item, the description ‘Elimination from above’ gives us some insight into how it could be used. It could be similar to the Air Strike Gadget seen in Fortnite’s Save the World mode, where players use it to drop five bombs on a designated area. If this is the case, then it would absolutely wreak havoc on enemy players. Leakers also unearthed accompanying sound files that detail just how devastating the item could be to opponents if used properly – it sounds like it could be an all-out war zone. When will we get the Air Strike item? Epic Games hasn’t announced the item itself yet, so there’s no confirmation of an official release date as of yet. The new Chug Splash item was unveiled in the in-game ‘Message of the Day’ change, so maybe the Air Strike will show up there at some point. Popular leaker Lucas7yoshi confirmed that the item might not be for the game’s main modes though, tweeting, “hi im back this may not be for the main modes but im tired so i can’t confirm okay have fun bai” hi im back this may not be for the main modes but im tired so i can’t confirm okay have fun bai — Lucas7yoshi // Fortnite Leaks & News (@Lucas7yoshi) June 18, 2019 Instead, we could see it during the new 14 Days of Summer event thought to be coming at the start of summer on June 21. Whether it’ll stay in the game past that is anybody’s guess. Hopefully Epic Games announce this new item officially soon, as it looks like it could shake the game up in new ways, and keep players on their toes at all times for an incoming air missile strike.

  • Fortnite revive bug will finally be addressed by Epic Games – Dexerto

Fortnite revive bug will finally be addressed by Epic Games Fortnite bug that forces players into disconnecting when they try and revive their teammates. Despite sweeping across the gaming world like wildfire, and preparing for an insane $30 million esports event, Fortnite Battle Royale isn’t exempt from running into game-breaking bugs that cause plenty of frustration. Away from the long-lasting audio issues, players have recently picked up on bugs centered around invisibility in the Baller and editing speed. Yet, there is a new, game-breaking error that is affecting a few players and denying them the chance of picking up that victory royale. Reddit user TheMiner325 brought the strange issue to light with a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, showcasing that when their duo partner looks to start a revive, their game crashes and the pair is eliminated. TheMiner325 explained that this has been an ongoing issue for some time and they finally got a response from Epic developers who had a few questions of their own – looking to obviously rectify the issue. The Redditor even noted that the game-breaking problem happens in every game, and it doesn’t have to be centered around a revive either. “He said yes. This happens to everyone he revives,” TheMiner325 added on behalf of their duo, responding to a question about its regularity. “The bug has been occurring for the whole season, but one time it stopped occurring. After that, the bug came back, and every time he would revive someone he would get disconnected. When I sent the report he didn’t even attempt to revive me; he just looked at me while I was downed and he disconnected.” Other Fortnite fans chimed in, stating that they’ve run into the issue themselves and have been waiting for an answer from Epic. “I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! Happened so many times, only on DUOS in my case, on PS4 – EU server. Please fix this” pleaded AdnanAwes. Their prayers were answered after more players explained how they run into the issue – giving Epic a variety of examples of when the issue rears its head. “Thanks all, I have the info I needed for now,” responded AaronMFJ – Epic’s lead QA. It remains to be seen as to what fix Epic has up their sleeve for this issue, especially considering that it isn’t as widespread as others.

  • Fortnite pro Zayt claims World Cup setups gave some players a major advantage – Dexerto

Fortnite pro Zayt claims World Cup setups gave some players a major advantage NRG Fortnite pro William ‘Zayt’ Aubin claims that fellows pros Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod and Griffin ‘Sceptic’ Spikoski were able to look up at the main screen during the Duos World Cup event and get an advantage. During July 27’s Duos event, the top 50 Fortnite duos from around the world competed to find out who the best twosome is on the planet. However, some of the players had some unfair advantages that helped them get an edge over some players according to one pro at least. Zayt said that Clix and Sceptic’s positioning during the event gave them the ability to look up at the main screen and see whatever the broadcast at home was able to see. “Hopefully they changed the tv and sceptic/clix can’t look up at where people are today for solos,” he tweeted. Hopefully they changed the tv and sceptic/clix cant look up at where people are today for solos! — NRG Zayt (@zayt) July 28, 2019 Sceptic and Clix weren’t able to secure a top spot so their positioning didn’t seem to help too much, or they didn’t really pay attention to it since they also had their own screens to focus on. However, Sceptic was able to give us one of the most memorable moments of the event when he did a “Take the L” in real life after an elimination. Sceptic was not able to qualify for the Solos event but Clix still represented Misfits Gaming, while Zayt was able to compete on both days as well. Zayt might have actually had a valid complaint here but it didn’t end up having too much of an effect on anything in the grand scheme of things. Epic Games haven’t commented on this in any way so it’s not likely any punishment will be handed out to either player, especially considering it would be very hard to prove they did it with malicious intent.

  • Fortnite set to debut new Chug Splash item in v9.30 update – Dexerto

Fortnite set to debut new Chug Splash item in v9.30 update Epic Games announced earlier that the v9.30 update is coming on June 18, and now Fortnite‘s in-game daily news update page has confirmed the inclusion of the new Chug Splash item. The in-game message of the day changed in today’s Item Shop reset, and now displays the Chug Splash item with the description of “It pays to share! Keep your squad in the game!” The item is presumably a descendant of the Slurp Juice and the Chug Jug – two of Fortnite’s healing items. But at this time of writing, there’s no details on what the item does exactly except offer some sort of healing mechanic to the player, and presumably their teammates judging by the description. When does the v9.30 update go live? The v9.30 update is set to go live on June 18 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 9 AM GMT. Downtime will begin then as well, so presume that matches will conclude roughly 30 minutes before like usual. The update’s patch notes and a new trailer for the Chug Splash item are likely to release around fifteen minutes before. A refreshing new beverage arrives in the v9.30 update tomorrow, June 18. It’ll hit the spot! :ocean::beach_with_umbrella:️ Downtime begins at 4 AM ET (0800UTC). — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) June 17, 2019 Will we get the Flare Gun? Epic recently hinted at a new Flare Gun coming to Fortnite with a cinematic during its 2019 Pro-Am event in Los Angeles, California. In the animation, a male character is stranded on a desert island, and is searching for some form of rescue. Suddenly, the infamous battle bus starts flying above him, and he immediately runs over to a wooden box marked ‘Flare Gun’. Sadly, the character accidentally shoots down the battle bus with the Flare Gun, leaving the character stranded once more, his hopes of rescue dashed. It’s not all bad news for the man as he’s hilariously handed a Victory Royale for taking out the entire battle bus. Win.

  • Fortnite player perfectly recreates Bioshock’s Rapture in epic tribute – Dexerto

Fortnite player perfectly recreates Bioshock’s Rapture in epic tribute Epic Games, 2K gamesBioshock and Fortnite are not two games you’d traditionally associate with each other, but thanks to the genius of a Creative Mode player, they certainly are now. Fortnite is Epic Games’ colorful battle royale shooter than continues to defy all expectations and keep drawing players in despite constant jibes that it’s a “dead game.” On the other hand, Bioshock is 2K’s grizzly, dark, depressing FPS set in a dank, dystopian city – Rapture – overcome by an addictive drug called ADAM. From the outset, they are two polar opposites, and in practice, they are as well, however, through Fortnite’s expansive Creative Mode, the two titles have collided in a crossover for the ages. Bioshock and Fortnite crossover sends players into Rapture Creative Mode was released as an extension to Fortnite’s base game in 2018 that already featured the aforementioned battle royale as well as the less-heralded Save The World PVE mode. Like Minecraft or Terraria, players have were handed the keys to the game and were allowed to create what they wanted in Creative Mode, with the only limit being their imagination. Reddit user Flux_Capacimoose clearly took full advantage of the tools on offer as they presented players with “Rapture II,” their reimagining of the fabulous underwater city and its harrowing world. Anyone who’s played Bioshock will feel instantly at home within seconds as the attention to detail is meticulous, to say the least. Straight away, the player’s get-up had them looking like a Big Daddy Alpha and the level had an atmospheric old-school filter applied to it. As the player ventured out further into their creation, we got to see many iconic sights and sounds from the first 30 minutes of the game. Iced-over doors, the hallway with the leaking window, to one of the early bar areas, it’s all painstakingly recreated and it was well-received by players. “My brother in Christ you are an artist,” one complimentary top commenter said, “The atmosphere is spot on!” another user said, and one more person simply offered: “My good sir, can I play this with my friends in a private game and just kill each other while admiring the atmosphere?” The OP confirmed this was the case and if you’re interested in doing it yourself, then the code to play it is 3885-0261-7529! With Bioshock 4 still some time off yet and the film possibly even longer away, this homage to the game through Fortnite will surely have players chomping at the bit for more content.

  • Fortnite Middle East servers have finally arrived – Dexerto

Fortnite Middle East servers have finally arrived Epic Games have finally answered the call from Fortnite Battle Royale fans based in the Middle East and added a brand new server for them to play on. It’s been a long wait for many people in the region but just days after a number of upcoming servers were leaked ahead of schedule by data miners, finally action has been taken by the developers. Fortnite players in the Middle East have been experiencing dreadful ping and connection problems since the battle royale title first launched in September 2017, as a result of having to play on servers that weren’t made for their location. The community came together as one back in January 2019 to express their collective dissatisfaction with a campaign that went viral on social media. At the time of writing, over six months later, action has finally been taken. Players can now select the Middle East server to play on at the start of their gaming sessions, as seen in the screenshot below, confirming a leak from FNBRInsider on August 6. According to leaker Lucas7Yoshi, the servers are named both ‘MUM’ and ‘MUM_S’, which suggests that they are based in Mumbai, India if you consider its location and who will be using it. • All Fortnite map changes with v8.40 update – Loot Lake, Retail Row and more – Dexerto

All Fortnite map changes with v8.40 update – Loot Lake, Retail Row and more Fortnite’s map received a plethora of changes in v8.40 including a revamped Loot Lake, among other things. The v8.40 update for Fortnite changed some of the more well-known locations so things will look a lot different when you load up the game again. Those familiar with the map as it is currently will have a lot to get used to so let’s dive right in and take a look. Loot Lake changes Loot Lake had the biggest of all of the changes with this new update as it has now turned into a full-blown excavation site. Fortnite likes to tease upcoming seasons with map changes so this will certainly be one to keep an eye on. Retail Row changes Retail Row received some changes that will look to revive the food fight between Durrr Burger and Tomato Town’s Pizza Pit. Since the transformation of Tomato Town into Tomato Temple, it looked like the food fight debate was over but now it has a good chance to get stirred up again. Snobby Shores changes The Viking invasion continues in Snobby Shores as another house fell victim to the raid while a second house appears to be doing everything in its power to prevent a total takeover. Pleasant Park changes Some of the houses in Pleasant Park now have secret lower levels that look like secret bunkers. It looks like it could tie into another rocket launch but that remains to be seen. Pizza Pit and Durrr Burger telephones Giant phones with the Pizza Pit or Durrr Burger logo on them have been appearing since the update dropped. You can find them near The Block and Fatal Fields respectively. These will be part of an upcoming challenge so take note of where they’re at. We’ll keep this post updated as more changes are discovered.

  • Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 end date and Season 10 start revealed – Dexerto

Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 end date and Season 10 start revealed Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 hasn’t even started but we have a good idea of when it ends already, along with when Season 10 begins. We’re only two teasers into the countdown to Season 9 but we’ve already been given great insight into the future of Season 9 and even Season 10. Season 9 will begin this Thursday, May 9 and players are no doubt excited for that, but we can also look further and learn when Season 10 starts, thanks to a PS4 store listing. When does Season 9 end? According to a PlayStation Store listing, Fortnite Season 9 will be wrapping up on August 9, suggesting it will be a longer than a usual season as most have run for 10 weeks up to this point. Seasons have been extended in the past so maybe it’s possible this is either a preemptive extension or it is Epic Games giving themselves some wiggle room in the event of something bad happening. Whatever the case may be, this season will run for 12 weeks. Epic Games confirmed the World Cup will take place during Season 9 so timeframe does actually line up, suggesting the leaked date could be legit. With the two week extension, it confirms the World Cup Finals will be played in Season 9, which is probably the real reason for this season being longer. When does Season 10 begin? As for when Fortnite Season 10 begins, if the date above is legit then we can expect Season 10 to start as soon as Season 9 finishes on August 1. There’s not a whole lot of information about Season 10, or Season 9 for that matter, outside of these dates but at least we know when to expect them now.

  • Fortnite BRUTE glitch allows players to ignore Boogie Bomb effects – Dexerto

Fortnite BRUTE glitch allows players to ignore Boogie Bomb effects Fortnite fans have uncovered an unusual glitch with the Boogie Bomb that is allowing players to ignore the effects as long as they’ve been in a BRUTE Mech. Ever since being introduced with the start of Fortnite Season X, the BRUTE Mech suits have caused frustration across the game’s community – even prompting some players to turn away and play other titles like Apex Legends. As Season 10 has progressed, some have discovered ways to counter the heavy-artillery vehicle but the most effective, the boogie bomb, could be in danger thanks to the rise of a new bug. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user KingKva showcased a video showing that the items are not working as intended. During the game, the Redditor was locked in a battle with a MECH Brute by their lonesome when they opted to toss a Boogie Bomb in a bid to create some space. As players exited the BRUTE, they were quickly subjected to the item’s effect – prompting them to bust into a dance. However, instead of being unable to do anything but dance, one player was able to shoot off a blast of their combat shotgun, despite showing as affected in-game, knocking KingKva down to the floor and needing a revive to stay in the game. While some members of the subreddit immediately joked about the powerful nature of the BRUTE, one user – n0fingerprints – pointed out that now the “best” tactic to counter the Mech has become bugged. “Yeah the ONLY thing to counter is now somehow bugged,” they posted. “This has happened to me on multiple occasions,” before editing their post with another few examples of tactics to outplay the BRUTE with. Others, including Fishy_25, backed up these glitch claims by stating that they’ve fallen to the unfortunate fate of dying after boogie bombing another player. They stated: “Same thing happened to me, I boogie bombed a guy out of a mech thinking I’d have an easy shot but for some reason he was able to shoot me.” While they are active on the subreddit, Epic Games’ community team has not yet noted if their developments are aware of the issue. It remains to be seen if a fix is in place or if this new issue will continue to plague players who are trying to find a reasonable counter-play to the BRUTE Mechs.

  • Fortnite bans Clix for “teaming” during game, disqualified for the rest of FNCS 2023 season – Dexerto

Fortnite bans Clix for “teaming” during game, disqualified for the rest of FNCS 2023 season Instagram: ClixFortnite has banned Cody “Clix” Conrod for “teaming” with an opponent during a match, leaving him disqualified for the next current and next season the Fortnite Championship Series, and the Copenhagen LAN at the end of the year. When Epic Games announced their plans for the Fortnite Championship Series for 2023, they announced it would have one of the largest prize pools in Fortnite history, totalling $10 million. All concluding in a massive LAN tournament in Copenhagen at the end of the year. However, one of the biggest names and competitors in FNCS, Clix, has been banned from the game, barring him from the upcoming NA Grand Finals and LCQ for the Copenhagen LAN. In a stream addressing his ban, Clix showed that he was banned for two weeks, further revealing the extent of his ban. “This means I can’t play the FNCS Grand Finals, and I also can’t play the next FNCS in a month, so that means I can’t go to the LAN event” he said. The ban states that he was banned for “teaming up with a competitor”. He then shows the game in which he was banned for, where a stream-sniper had been harassing him in the game by throwing items at Clix to help him. He said he was mad at the sniper, but relented that he did indeed break the rules as he picked up one of the items. “I did break the rules right there, but I feel two weeks is a little bit too harsh and I would be happy with a seven day or three day, or even a warning, where I can play the next FNCS” he said. He figured that Epic might have only watched the replay of the game, which looked like Clix was teaming with the enemy, but on stream he was visibly mad at them, trying to make the sniping stop. “If they looked at the replays, chat, it does look like I was teaming, from the replays out of context, I completely agree” he said. He then explains that he doesn’t harbor any ill will towards Epic, saying, “I’m not trying to go off at Epic whatsoever, it’s more that I’m disappointed at the fact that I got a consequence off of someone else’s actions that I wasn’t even able to control.” Time will tell if Fortnite reverses Clix’s ban, however, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the story.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak discover the perfect counter for Fortnite’s Baller – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue and Cloak discover the perfect counter for Fortnite’s Baller Popular Fortnite duo Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore have found the perfect way to counter one of the game’s most controversial vehicles – The Baller. The Baller was added to Fortnite in the v8.10 update for the popular battle royale title, with the vehicle using a Grappler attached to the front of the spherical cockpit to roam around the map, offering quick movement and protection from enemy fire to those who use it. The addition of The Baller has been an immediate cause of annoyance for many Fortnite fans, with many games now dominated by the vehicle. Players have used Reddit to highlight the issues, with many Fortnite fans posting clips of numerous opponents hiding inside the vehicles in the final circle in an attempt to secure a Victory Royale. How did Cloak and Tfue counter The Baller? While players continue to struggle with enemies using the vehicle, Fortnite pro duo Tfue and Cloak have found a way to deal with the pesky Baller, showing viewers of their stream the perfect way to do it during their Sunday, March 31 run in Fortnite’s Luxe Cup finals. When the FaZe Clan duo came across a pair of enemy players sitting inside a box while driving The Baller, the Americans acted quickly to make sure they could eliminate them. Read More: New Explosive Bow weapon coming to Fortnite – Cloak pulled out his Rocket Launcher, while Tfue made sure to have a Boogie Bomb in hand. As Cloak fired a rocket to destroy the structure that was providing the enemies protection. Tfue immediately threw in a Boogie Bomb, forcing their opponents out of The Baller as they helplessly danced, allowing the pair to charge in and kill them with ease. “That’s how you fucking do it right there boys,” Tfue told those watching his stream. “Get your fucking notepads out.” This technique obviously requires the use of a Rocket Launcher and Boogie Bombs, and due to the ‘RNG’ nature of Fortnite, it’s not always possible to find these items around the map. However, if you and a partner can get your hands on these weapons, you should have a decent chance at getting rid of those pesky Baller opponents.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue reveals three pro players he hates competing against – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue reveals three pro players he hates competing against FaZe Clan stream snipers or bad luck in-game. However, there are three players he does hate playing against – even if they aren’t nearly as big as him in name value or as successful as some other professional players that are around his level. Tfue’s exclusive club During his April 27 stream, Tfue had been attempting to finally progress in the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers when he got jumped upon by a ‘griefer’ who eliminated him from his final game – even though he secured a vital top 3000 placing. “I thought I played pretty fucking well overall,” started Tfue, breaking down his performance in trying to secure a spot in the next round of qualifying. “It was unfortunate that I ran into fucking Aspect – the kid lives in Pennsylvania. He replaces fucking walls like I replace mods, kappa.” Despite his joke, the FaZe Clan pro was speaking some truth about the players he hates playing against. He added: “Seriously though, there are a few players I don’t like running into. It’s fucking Danny ‘Dubs’ Walsh, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, and Nick ‘Aspect’ McGuire. All those kids live in fucking Pennsylvania dude and they replace walls like every time. Those three guys, they’ll just replace everything – deadass.” Could Tfue change up his duo? Tfue might currently be on the outside looking in at the World Cup qualifying for solos, but despite being griefed, moved on to the Sunday portion of the event – where he may finally be able to grab a solo spot. If not, the FaZe Clan pro will once again link up with his partner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore for the second round of duos qualification on May 4. Failing that, he might have to think about linking up with one of the trio that he admittedly hates running into.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue left in disbelief by bizarre Fortnite bug – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue left in disbelief by bizarre Fortnite bug FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left completely puzzled by a random Fortnite error that caused him to exit the game earlier than intended. Who is Tfue? The popular Fortnite professional player and streamer had been broadcasting on April 5, playing duo games with his FaZe Clan teammate Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. However, one of their sessions was completely ruined by a strange Fortnite bug that forced Tfue out of the game before he even had the chance to drop, loot and wreck his enemies day. What happened to Tfue’s Fortnite game? “What the fuck just happened?” said Tfue, as he was sent back to the pre-game lobby after he tried to jump out of the Battle Bus. Once the game had sent him back to the pre-game lobby, Tfue was met with a ‘there was an error’ scene but he received no sympathy from his teammate Cloak, who immediately began hysterically laughing. Cloak added: “get fucked idiot,” while Tfue continued to be frustrated by the strange error. “What the fuck was that dude?,” Tfue continued on, asking his FaZe Clan teammate to back out of the game so they could start afresh in a new game. “Just leave dude. What the fuck was that? This game actually fucking hates my soul dude.” Still baffled by what had just happened, Tfue finished: “What the fuck was that? Is that normal? That can’t be normal.” What does Epic Games do about Fortnite bugs? While bugs and errors continue to plague plenty of other titles, Epic Games have been hard at work by trying to rectify as many as possible in their popular battle royale – even though some, like this one, still remain. The game developers encourage players to share their bugs by reporting them to the Trello board, where they’ll then be targeted for fixes and rolled out in forthcoming updates. It’s almost certain that whatever issue caused Tfue’s game to crash will be rectified sooner rather than later.

  • Epic Games gives important update on vehicles ahead of Fortnite World Cup – Dexerto

Epic Games gives important update on vehicles ahead of Fortnite World Cup Vehicles are once again enabled for Arena and the Fortnite World Cup Online Open for May 25 and 26 after fixing a glitch that caused players to be stuck. A massive game-breaking bug popped up in Fortnite Battle Royale last week that caused players to become stuck in vehicles like the Baller and leave players completely vulnerable to eliminations. Epic Games disabled vehicles for that weekend’s World Cup qualifiers as they worked to iron out the bugs, which have now been fixed and vehicles have once again been enabled for competitive players. Epic Games employee Loomin announced the vehicles have returned in a Reddit thread. “We have fixed the issue with players getting stuck inside vehicles in the latest update,” he wrote. “Vehicles are now back in Arena, and will also be enabled for the Fortnite World Cup Online Open this weekend. Best of luck!” Players that relied on Ballers and Quadcrashers for mobility will now have those options back. Fortnite Season 9 did introduce the Slipstreams for a way to traverse the map without the need for vehicles, meaning when they were disabled players weren’t at a complete disadvantage. For better or worse, Ballers are back and look for them to play an important role in the qualifiers going forward, as they have been in the past. Fortnite World Cup’s meta has shifted greatly Players who were able to qualify in for the first week of the World Cup are now looking at an almost completely different game now. Gone is the Pump Shotgun, a weapon that many players relied on for eliminations, and in its place is the Combat Shotgun. We also have to mention the Drum Gun, a weapon voted on by the community for a return that is now running rampant in the competitive scene. It’s now easier than ever to qualify for the World Cup – or harder depending on how you look at it.

  • Epic Games share update on Fortnite’s mysterious Turbo Building issue – Dexerto

Epic Games share update on Fortnite’s mysterious Turbo Building issue It’s been a rough week for Fortnite fans as Turbo Build underwent a nerf, revert, stealth-nerf, and now it’s Epic Games claims the issues are finally fixed. Epic Games made the controversial decision to nerf Turbo Build in update 10.20 and was quickly met with a ton of backlash regarding the move from both competitive and casual players alike. On August 27, the Fortnite developer explained all of the reasons the nerfs were made, which at least gave players an idea of why it was done, even if they didn’t agree with them. The changes were eventually reverted back to normal with some smaller changes made instead. Fans thought all was good from there but then they began noticing and reporting new issues with Turbo Building, although Epic Games said it wasn’t anything they changed this time. They investigated all of the reports and found whatever the issue was and released a hotfix that handled it. “We’ve identified the reason for Turbo Building feeling inconsistent for some players after our August 28th adjustments,” tweeted the official Fortnite account. “We’ve released a hotfix to mitigate this issue and will release a lasting fix in our next client update.” We’ve identified the reason for Turbo Building feeling inconsistent for some players after our August 28th adjustments. We’ve released a hotfix to mitigate this issue and will release a lasting fix in our next client update. Thanks to everyone who gave us footage and info! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) August 30, 2019 Epic Games caught a lot of heat for their changes, so in their revert, they revealed the time between placing builds was being changed back to 0.005 seconds from 0.15 seconds. It may seem like that was just a minor change but it ended up being major and players noticed immediately. However, some of the changes they wanted to add in were included, such as eliminating the need for low ping by implementing a coin flip for wall taking. This was met with some controversy but nothing close to the time changes. Nevertheless, whatever problems players were running into should be fixed now with the hotfix. Epic says they will be adding in more permanent changes with the upcoming client update. Epic face controversy for DQing ‘screen watching’ player at Fortnite World Cup During the Solos portion of the Fortnite World Cup, Russian player Mark ‘letw1k3’ Danilov was disqualified after he was accused of screen watching. His ejection from the game now has some questioning Epic’s handling of the rules. There were a lot of stand out moments in the first ever Fortnite World Cup. From 16-year old Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf taking home the $3 million dollar Solo portion prize, to the heartwarming moment when Thiago ’King’ Lapp celebrated with his father after winning $900k. However, one moment is attracting attention for all the wrong reasons, as people are questioning the disqualification of a player in Round 6 of the Solo competition. Why was letw1k3 banned? An audience member caught the moment that the Russian pro player was disqualified from the competition on video. In the clip, he is shown quickly glancing up for a second before resuming play. The 13-year old player immediately enters a state of shock after realizing he’s been disqualified from the competition. Pro team Kungarna’s CEO ‘MOETORIOUS’ tweeted the clip of the event, outraged at what happened. “.@letw1k3 gets disqualified midway through the last game for allegedly looking at big screen.” he said. .@letw1k3 gets disqualified midway through the last game for allegedly looking at big screen. pic.twitter.com/Z0ScM39ux1 — MOETORIOUS (@theMOETORIOUS) July 28, 2019 Why was letw1k3 looking up? During an interview with TheFortniteGuy, letw1k3 told the YouTuber that during game six he heard a slam on the desk next to him and instinctually looked over. Unfortunately, Epic employees saw and disqualified him. Among other difficulties, the Russian pro also said that he was given the wrong keyboard from the people running the tournament which caused him to get flustered. Epic Games responded According to Polygon, Epic reacted to the backlash and told the publication: “After multiple warnings to the player, a penalty was assessed and he was removed from the match,” a representative said. “He was not disqualified and will not be fined.” Regardless of what the truth may be, some fans were upset as they felt the disqualification was uncalled for. Letw1k3 himself even retweeted a user that said: “@XXiFtv Cheats, banned for two weeks and still is allowed to qualify.@letw1k3 peeks over his screen for a second and gets forfeited for potentially thousands of dollars. • Epic Games disable controversial item ahead of Fortnite Trios tournament – Dexerto

Epic Games disable controversial item ahead of Fortnite Trios tournament Epic Games revealed the Storm Flip has been disabled in the Arena playlist and will not be usable in the Trip Tournament. Right before the Epic Games-hosted Trios tournament kicks off for Fortnite, they announced that players will not have access to the Storm Flip item. This item allows the storm to change positions and can create a bunch of chaos in endgame situations. In the Arena and tournament settings, there are many players in the final circle so the Storm Flip is game-changing. We’ve disabled the Storm Flip item in the Trio Tournament and Arena Playlist. ⛈️ — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) July 12, 2019 Epic Games proved before they would disable items that compromised the competitive integrity of Fortnite and that’s what we’re seeing here. A reason wasn’t given for it being disabled but it isn’t that hard to guess when it’s gone. The Storm Flip has always been a controversial item even since its release. On July 10, a professional player for E11 gaming showed just how powerful the Storm Flip was in a late game as he was able to wipe pretty much the entire lobby during the final circle because of it. It might be in need of a simple nerf or much more work could be on the horizon. With enough pro players complaining about it and seeing the damage it can do, it was clear something had to be done. We’ll keep you posted about the future of the Storm Flip in Fortnite. In the meantime, enjoy your competitive playlists without it.

  • Dr Disrespect reacts to Fortnite skin that bears strong resemblance to him – Dexerto

Dr Disrespect reacts to Fortnite skin that bears strong resemblance to him Fortnite and now he has more questions after the game debuted a skin that looks very similar to Dr Disrespect’s persona. Dr Disrespect has long been a vocal critic of Fortnite which has caused him to uninstall the game several times. He constantly blasts the game for being too “cartoony” and aimed at kids, but after seeing a new skin pop up, it seems like he has a much more valid criticism on his hands. Nvidia recently ran a promotion that gave away special Fortnite cosmetic bundle called the Counterattack bundle that came with a skin, glider and pickaxe. However, players were also able to purchase the cosmetics separately in the item shop which no longer made them exclusive to those who purchase a new GPU. Fortnite’s new Counterattack bundle looks a lot like Doc Fortnite is properly preparing me for duos w/ @TTfue. Impressive…. but I might sue. For a lot of money, pic.twitter.com/aJpJdzBrJs — Dr Disrespect (@drdisrespect) April 11, 2019 Epic Games made things right by giving original owners a new variation of the set but it looks eerily similar to how Dr Disrespect’s on-stream persona looks. Doc made a comment about it on Twitter, even joking that he might have to sue Epic Games over this. “Impressive, but I might sure,” he wrote. “For a lot of money.” For what it’s worth, the skin would probably be fine on its own but the fact that it has a red vest makes the comparison to Doc all that much closer. Fortnite has returned to the Doc’s Triple-Threat challenge Perhaps this was Epic’s way of getting back on the Doc’s good side after being on his bad side for so long. For the time being, it looks the two-time is working Fortnite back into his Triple-Threat Challenge rotation after removing it for a few weeks.

  • Benjyfishy mind-blown after discovering ‘no damage’ glitch in Fortnite – Dexerto

Benjyfishy mind-blown after discovering ‘no damage’ glitch in Fortnite Popular Twitch streamer and Fortnite professional Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish was left mind-blown after an enemy bullet simply did not cause him any damage, despite clearly hitting him. Fortnite Chapter 2 has been seen by many as a saving grace to Epic Games’ third-person game, bringing necessary changes to the established formula of the building battle royale. Benjyfishy is one of the most exciting young players in Fortnite, competing among the very best in the world at the age of just 15. He currently represents NRG Esports, the organization he also played for at Summer’s Fortnite World Cup. Benjy was streaming live on Twitch on November 22, to his audience of over 400,000 followers. He was hopping around the grassy expanses near Pleasant Park, when an enemy took multiple shots at him. Despite one of the bullets clearly hitting Benjy, his player takes no damage, remaining at 50 shield and 94 health. This understandably baffled the English teenager: “What? It hit me?” he exclaimed. “That sh*t literally hit me, oh my god what?!” It certainly seems like a serious glitch of some kind, despite the bullet successfully hitting Benjy’s character model. Suggestions ranged from internet issues to Benjy using hacks, the latter of which we think can be definitively ruled out. It’s likely we’ll see the issue addressed in some way by Epic Games in the future; such a significant glitch could have potentially game-breaking effects if it reared its head in a pro game. Benjy continued to stream for some time, racking up a number of wins on Fortnite Chapter 2. He most recently finished 4th in the NA Solo Cash Cup Week 4, after finishing second in the EU version of the same tournament.

  • Complete all Fortnite Season 9, Week 7 challenges fast with full cheat sheet – Dexerto

Complete all Fortnite Season 9, Week 7 challenges fast with full cheat sheet Each week of Fortnite Battle Royale brings a new week of challenges for players to complete, along with a new cheat sheet created by The Squating Dog. Fortnite Season 9 Week 7 challenges definitely can’t be considered the hardest of the challenges to complete as nothing requires players to search for an item in a certain location, but instead, most of the challenges revolve around playing the game for the most part. The hardest challenge appears to be searching a chest, using a vending machine and a campfire in a single match. None of that is hard on its own, but the fact you have to do it all in one match makes it difficult. There are a couple of other challenges where you have to do this, but it’s just visiting two locations in a match which is pretty easy. The rest of the challenges require players to open ammo boxes, chests and perform eliminations with certain weapons, nothing all that difficult outside of having to deal damage while riding on a vehicle. With that said, if you’re having trouble with completing any of this week’s challenges, we have a complete cheat sheet created by The Squating Dog that you’ll be able to use to complete all of the challenges. Like previous weeks, The Squating Dog created a map showing where to complete all the challenges and even throws in the Battle Star location for good measure. Fortnite Season 9 introduced Fortbytes to the game which has slowly been building a puzzle and the map above also gives players the location for all of the new locations. All in all, it’s a pretty easy week for challenges so you might not need the cheat sheet this time around but it has certainly proven its value the past and will continue to do so going forward. Fortnite Season 9 Week 7 Challenges Free Challenges Search (7) chests at Junk Junction or Neo Tilted – Five Battle Stars – Search (7) ammo boxes in different named locations – Five Battle Stars – Perform (3) suppressed weapon eliminations – 10 Battle Stars – Battle Pass Challenges Deal (200) damage to opponents while riding in a vehicle – 10 Battle Stars – Stage 1/3: Visit The Block and Loot Lake in a single match – One Battle Star Stage 2/3: Visit Fatal Fields and Neo Tilted in a single match – Two Battle Stars – Stage 3/3: Visit Snobby Shores and Mega Mall in a single match – Two Battle Stars – – Search a chest, use a vending machine, and a campfire in a single match – 10 Battle Stars – Perform (3) eliminations from 5m or less – 10 Battle Stars – Completing four of the objectives will net players 7,000 XP.

  • Baller invisibility bug leaves Fortnite players completely confused – Dexerto

Baller invisibility bug leaves Fortnite players completely confused A new bug with The Baller allows Fortnite players to become invisible and exit the vehicle with only a small line showing their position. Since its introduction in the v8.10 patch update, The Baller has been one of the more controversial and annoying additions to Fortnite Battle Royale – especially when used in late game situations. The vehicle has received a number of nerfs since its release – including a reduction in the vehicle’s spawn rate. However, it might need to go back into the Epic Games’ garage for another tune-up as it is causing a brand new glitch in-game. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user GucciMyFeet showcased a clip from one of their recent games where an enemy player hid behind a tree while sat in a Baller. Intrigued by the discovery, the Redditor pushed onto the Baller before being left confused as it rolled around with nobody at the wheel. However, GucciMyFeet got a shock when a metallic-like stick exited the vehicle and begun bouncing around in-front. Of course, it didn’t take long for them to realize that it was an invisible player who had fallen foul to some sort of glitch. Now, since the Reddit user posted their clip, nobody is quite sure what caused the invisibility error, so it might be pretty difficult to replicate and find a fix for. That’s not to say that being able to rectify a bizarre bug like this is impossible, as Epic Games have proven that they can dig up small errors and make amends. Issues like this, centered around The Baller, are not all that uncommon either. Back in Season 8, some players found that it could take them to new heights or even help them avoid taking damage from the storm. Read More: How to complete ‘Destroy seven grills with the Low n’ Slow harvesting tool’ Fortnite challenge – Others even discovered that you could exit the vehicle and die instantly from fall damage – even if you were on level ground. These bugs, of course, were fixed pretty quickly but a patch might have to wait this time around. The Epic Games’ team are on their summer break until July 8 and probably get around to sorting out a fix until they’re settled back down. It remains to be seen if the glitch is more widespread than just GucciMyFeet’s match or if it was just a bizarre one-off occurrence.

The year 2019 has been very kind to esports organization 100 Thieves as they’ve added several big names to the roster. • Where is Josh Maja now? How Sunderland ‘Til I Die star has fared since leaving Black Cats – Dexerto

Where is Josh Maja now? How Sunderland ‘Til I Die star has fared since leaving Black Cats YouTube/Sunderland AFCSunderland ‘Til I Die will return to our screens on Tuesday (February 13) with a three-episode third series charting the club’s successful 2021-22 play-off campaign. The Netflix series’ first two seasons, following the Black Cats’ 2017-18 and 2018-19 campaigns, were enjoyed by football fans around the globe. Worlds away from the polished documentation of Manchester City’s 2017-18 season by Amazon, the first two seasons of Sunderland ‘Til I Die focussed on a club with far less stability than the Premier League juggernauts, and thus made for fascinating viewing. One of the main protagonists in season two Sunderland were relegated to League One in 2018, and the second season of Sunderland ‘Til I Die focussed on their attempted return to the Championship. In the first half of the 2018-19 campaign, forward Josh Maja was a key player for Sunderland, scoring 15 goals in 24 league appearances, making him a major focus point in the series. Maja left the club midway through the season, joining French side Bordeaux, with Sunderland unable to agree an extension to the player’s contract, which was due to expire at the end of the campaign. The Nigerian went on to score 29 goals in 93 appearances for Bordeaux, with loan spells back in England with Fulham and Stoke mixed in with his time in France. Maja returned to England permanently last summer, signing for West Brom on a three-year contract, but things have not gone to plan for the 25-year-old since he moved to the Hawthorns. Maja’s last appearance for West Brom came on December 9 when he sustained ankle ligament damage against former club Sunderland. At the time, Baggies boss Carlos Corberan said Maja would be sidelined for four months. Maja has scored one goal in nine substitute appearances for West Brom.

  • When is Sunderland ‘Til I Die season 3 released? How to watch Netflix documentary – Dexerto

When is Sunderland ‘Til I Die season 3 released? How to watch Netflix documentary Netflix. The Netflix hit documentary series Sunderland ‘Til I Die is coming back for an unexpected third season and it’s coming soon. Sunderland ‘Til I Die first aired in December, 2018 and was a smash hit. The documentary followed Sunderland players, officials and normal fans during the historic club’s return to the Championship in the 2017-18 season after being relegated from the Premier League the previous term. Instead of the feel good, instant return to the top flight success story that might have been expected for the Black Cats, Sunderland actually endured a terrible year upon their return to the Football League. In fact, Sunderland actually finished bottom of the Championship and were relegated to the third tier for the first time since 1987. The series offered a fly-on-the-wall look into a proud club’s remarkable down fall both on and off the pitch. Sunderland would reach the League One play-off final the following season but were beaten to promotion by Charlton Athletic at Wembley. Now, nearly four years since it last aired, Sunderland ‘Til I Die is returning for a third and final season documenting the club’s return to the Championship in the 2021/22 season. Here’s all you need to know on season three: When is Sunderland ‘Til I Die season three released? The third and final season of Sunderland ‘Til I Die will be released on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Where can I watch Sunderland ‘Til I Die? You can watch the first two seasons of the show as well as the new series when it is released on Netflix. How many episodes is Sunderland ‘Til I Die season three? The third entry into the Sunderland ‘Til I Die series will be just two episodes long, shorter than the eight of season one and the six of season two. That’s because, rather than a full season, season three will only focus on the club’s League One play-off triumph over Wycombe Wanderers in 2022, which saw them return to the Championship. Leo Pearlman, of the series’ production company Fulwell 73’s, said: “This time we are purely focussing on the play-off win from last season. “There will be two episodes that look at the incredible finale to the season with the play-off semi-finals and the play- off win against Wycombe at Wembley. “We are ending Sunderland Til I Die on a high.”

  • Tom Lockyer inspired Luton Town race into three-goal lead vs Brighton – Dexerto

Tom Lockyer inspired Luton Town race into three-goal lead vs Brighton Peacock.Luton Town have taken a substantial lead against Brighton in rapid fashion on Tom Lockyer’s return to Kenilworth Road. The Hatters have won seven points in their last four Premier League outings in their unlikely bid for survival and have done their chances no harm in the first half of their encounter with high-flying Brighton. Just 19 seconds were on the clock when Elijah Adebayo nodded home the opener and less than two minutes later their lead was doubled. Chiedozie Ogbene rounded the goalkeeper with a single touch before rolling into an empty net. Both goals came within two minutes and 17 seconds. According to Opta, the only team to ever score twice in the Premier League quicker were Leicester City against Derby in April, 1998. Luton’s fun wouldn’t stop there, either, as Adebayo grabbed a second just before the break to give his side an unthinkable half-time lead. Tom Lockyer’s return The first-half display must taste even sweeter given it came on the day that Lockyer returned Kenilworth Road. The club captain suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during a match between Luton and Bournemouth in December which left him requiring resuscitation on the pitch and caused the game to be abandoned. However, after being taken to hospital it was announced the 29-year-old was in a stable condition. He was discharged after being fitted with a defibrillator and is on the road to recovery. Lockyer returned to Luton’s training ground on Monday to reunite with his teammates and made his first appearance back on his home turf on Tuesday night ahead of kick-off. The centre-back received a rapturous applause from all four corners of the ground.

  • True Geordie calls for Newcastle United to make Jose Mourinho “fairy tale” happen – Dexerto

True Geordie calls for Newcastle United to make Jose Mourinho “fairy tale” happen YouTube: The Kick Off/Associated PressNewcastle United should not miss the opportunity to replace Eddie Howe with Jose Mourinho as their manager this summer. That is the bold verdict of YouTuber and Newcastle fan, True Geordie, who believes Mourinho represents the Magpies’ best chance of ending their 55-year wait to win a major trophy. Howe has done an incredible job as Newcastle manager since taking over in November 2021. He steered the club to Premier League survival in his first season in charge, after inheriting a side who were in the relegation zone and hadn’t won a game all season. In his second season in charge, he then steered Newcastle to Champions League qualification for the first time in 20 years. He also guided United to their first cup final for 24 years, losing to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley. However, this season, injuries have ravaged Newcastle. That being said, they still managed to be competitive in a Champions League group that included PSG, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund and reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. They are currently eighth in the Premier League and while Champions League qualification is now an unrealistic ambition, qualifying for European competition next season is not out of their grasp. However, Mourinho is without a club since leaving Roma earlier this year and is keen to find a new job in the summer. “The Special One” has won 26 major trophies across spells with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Roma, and has a well known affinity with Newcastle. Mourinho worked as ex-Newcastle manager Sir Bobby Robson’s translator and assistant coach at Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Barcelona and called himself a “Little Magpie” because of the stories Robson would tell him about Newcastle. With all of that in mind, True Geordie told the Kick Off podcast that, while Howe’s departure would come with a heavy heart, he feels appointing Mourinho is an opportunity that is too good to miss. “I was thinking about this in the car the other day,” he said. “I’m driving around, you know when you’re debating s**t on your own and I really like Eddie Howe as a person and that’s part of the problem. Topic starts at 12:49 “Because we had Steve Bruce who could not get through a single press conference without saying something that you’re like: ‘Oh my God’. “I was on the train and he’s there and I’m like I don’t even want to go over to you and say hello. I don’t admire you. I don’t respect you. “So now we’ve got Eddie Howe who carries himself with respect, he doesn’t drop his foot in it and he does tend to say the right things a lot of the time and he’s achieved huge things. “He’s he’s giving us memories. He got us to Wembley. All right, we lost, but f**k me that was a hell of an achievement for a team that have never been to Wembley for over 20 years. “We literally pushed the the very best of the Champions League to the bitter end to where the referee had to stitch us up to get PSG into the next round, so I’ve got a lot of love and admiration for him. “But the problem is, logically, there’s a bit of me that goes what has he won though? I believe he can go on to win things but when there’s a manager on the market like Jose Mourinho, who is Sir Bobby Robson’s son in management terms. “He literally built him. He literally taught him everything he knew as a young man and told him about Newcastle and where he’s from and Mr Robson and all of this. “Could this be the fairy tale? I am a romantic, I actually thought Francis Ngannou had a chance against Anthony Joshua for Christ’s sake, so there’s a bit of me thinking about Jose Mourinho. “If we are talking about the most winning managers in world football on the market right now, who’s won more than Jose? Has anyone who’s available right now? “If there’s an opportunity for Newcastle United to get Jose Mourinho, in the way that our fans, even more than Chelsea fans, in my opinion, would fall in love with him, I just think is that an opportunity that we shouldn’t miss? “Because with Jose, all we want as a club, all I want for the rest of my life is one trophy and if there’s a manager out there who could give you that it’s probably Jose.”

  • Sunderland ’til I die: What happened to Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven? – Dexerto

Sunderland ’til I die: What happened to Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven? YouTube/Sunderland AFCSunderland ‘Til I Die returned to our screens this week with a three-part third season charting the club’s successful 2022 promotion push. The much-loved series captured the attention of football fans around the globe with its first two seasons, released in 2018 and 2020, but plenty of time has passed between seasons two and three, with a lot of key people at the club either operating in a reduced capacity or having left all together. Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven featured prominently in season two following their takeover of the club in 2018, but are only briefly visible in the new instalment. What happened to Sunderland’s owners from season two? Donald was the majority shareholder at Sunderland between 2018 and 2021, when Kyril Louis-Dreyfus became chairman and controlling shareholder. Donald had been trying to sell Sunderland since 2019 and last year he sold his remaining shares to fully end his involvement with the club. The 49-year-old now owns National League side Eastleigh, who he previously sold in 2018 in order to complete his takeover of Sunderland. Methven is also no longer involved with Sunderland. He is, however, still in football after his firm SE7 Partners bought League One club Charlton Athletic last year.
