  • What your Starbucks order say about you, according to an ex-barista – Dexerto

What your Starbucks order say about you, according to an ex-barista StarbucksYour go-to Starbucks order tells your barista a lot about who you are as a person, so here’s what vibe you’re unintentionally giving off when you choose your coffee. Your Starbucks order is an extension of yourself, whether you admit it or not. Are you an everyday takeout coffee drinker? Or someone who has a Frappuccino as a treat at the weekend? Either way, your barista knows the type of person you are from the get-go. Sure, maybe you switch it up from time to time to keep them on their toes, but you gravitate towards your go-to drink because it reflects who you are on the inside. Being a Starbucks barista is not always an easy job, and sometimes, the only fun on a tough shift comes from trying to guess what someone might order from the vibe they give off. I can safely say that in five years of working there, I only got it wrong a handful of times (and those people were ordering for someone else). I saw hundreds of drinks come and go from Starbucks’ ever-changing menu, so this list has been compiled using the most popular standard drinks that people order daily. What does your Starbucks order reveal about you? Latte If you’re a latte drinker, you’re a pretty standard customer and are a pleasure to serve. You don’t cause any fuss and always say “please” and “thank you”. You may not be the most eccentric customer, but people know you for being easy-to-read and reliable. You’re just an all-round stand-up person. Nice one. Cappuccino You’re kind of like the latte drinker but a bit more exotic. You’ve definitely toured Europe at some point and you like your coffee a little bit stronger because you have an activity-packed life. If you get your cappuccino with chocolate powder on top, you’re a little adventurous, and people might see you as the “mom” of your friend group. However, your real friends know you have a wilder side… Extra-hot skinny vanilla latte You’re either a soccer mom, a model, or a busy city-dweller on the go. Either way, people who don’t know you might think that you care too much about your looks when, in reality, you’re a go-getter who values your smarts over your appearance. You’re always well put together, quite attractive, and probably quite successful. Good for you. Black coffee Okay, okay, everyone gets it – you’re super hardcore because you drink your coffee black. Either you’re a cool, hipster-type who is kind of a snob about good coffee, or you’re someone who pretends to like black coffee to look badass. Whichever one you are, you’re probably a people-pleaser who cares what others think of you. That isn’t always a bad thing though, and people care about your opinions on things. Hot chocolate If you drink hot chocolate regularly, you’re probably eight years old. If you aren’t a literal child, you are someone who is young at heart and has a real sweet tooth. You don’t care for current trends and are someone who always stays true to yourself. Even if people think you should grow up or change, you keep doing you. Matcha latte If you drink matcha lattes, you are either a free-spirited hippie type who definitely didn’t go to grad school, or you’re a grad school student studying for finals who doesn’t want to drink another coffee. Either way, you definitely do yoga or pilates, and you probably drink this with oat milk because you’re a vegan. Chai latte Your ideal day is cozying up in a library on a rainy day with a good book. You’re low-key and super cool, and although people think you’re introverted, you’re actually the life of the party if you’re around people that you know well. You’re intelligent and also really kind to baristas—basically, an all-around great person. Pumpkin spice latte You live for Fall. You love to wear big-brimmed hats and prance around the pumpkin patch pretending you’re a witch. You also have a black cat and love Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You’re quick to get wrapped up in the hype of something, even if it’s not actually that good, because you want an aesthetically pleasing photo for your Instagram. Any frappuccino Some people would dismiss the humble Frappuccino as being a menu item that is designed for children. Actually, they’re super good and definitely the most fun drink on the menu to customize. If you drink these, you’re creative, fun-loving, and someone who likes to think outside the box. They’re some of the most annoying drinks to make, but also a popular lunch-break drink for a barista, so we forgive you. Any secret menu drink People who drink from the secret menu regularly are usually in their late teens and chronically online. You have to know the latest TikTok trends, and you aren’t afraid to put yourself out there on social media. You’re also not shy of a challenge and will try anything once. Pink drink You were really into the Kardashians and makeup influencers back in 2016. You’re definitely a budding influencer, and you always have your finger on the pulse of the latest celebrity dramas. Your friends come to you for gossip and you’re a lot of fun to be around. Caramel macchiato with extra whip, drizzle, and syrup Someone needs to tell you that it’s okay if you don’t like coffee, even if you’re a full-blown adult. If you need this much sugar in your coffee, you definitely don’t like the taste of it, but you have a busy lifestyle and need the caffeine. Try an energy drink, or get an extra hour of sleep at night. Double espresso If you drink double espressos, you are someone who is straight to the point and doesn’t play around. People always know where they stand with you, and although some people might think you’re blunt, you’re actually just brutally honest. You’ve also definitely been on vacation in Italy. Iced oat milk latte You’re, like, really cool. You definitely have great fashion taste, great hair, and great taste in music. You’re probably also a bit of a snob. But that’s okay because you are undoubtedly better than everyone else, and your Starbucks barista gives you extras for free. You win. Whatever the seasonal beverage is Starbucks is like your second home. You have all the merch, you ran to Walmart for the Stanley Cups, and you know all the seasonal drinks before anyone else. You’re a fiercely loyal person who would do anything for your friends. Oh, and you never go on vacation because you spend all your money at Starbucks.

  • What time does Starbucks open in the morning? – Dexerto

What time does Starbucks open in the morning? Wikimedia CommonsStarbucks is a big hit for coffee lovers craving their first brew early in the morning, but what time does the popular coffee chain actually open? There’s not a simple answer to this, so here’s what you need to know. Usual opening times for Starbucks in the morning Generally speaking, if you’re planning on heading over to Starbucks to grab a morning brew, you can expect to find most stores open between 5 – 7AM. This is when the majority of stores will open their doors to customers. Of course, this will depend on the particular branch you’re headed to, and weekend hours might be slightly different. On public holidays, such as the 4th of July, store hours may vary, so make sure to take this into consideration too. Starbucks morning opening times by location Though the general rule of thumb is between 5AM – 7AM for Starbucks’ morning opening hours, this can be swayed by location. For example, if you’re in a busy city, stores may open a bit earlier to cater to the high demand in these areas. On the other hand, if you’re living in a more rural area, with fewer people passing through, then the stores will gear more toward a 7AM opening time. Additionally, quieter areas’ weekend hours might differ too, with some Starbucks stores not opening their doors until 9AM. Starbucks morning opening times at airport If you’ve got an early flight to catch and need to pop into the Starbucks located at the airport, then you’re in luck! Most Starbucks coffee shops located within airports across the US will open at 4:30AM to 5AM, meaning you’ll be in ship shape for your travels. Internationally, this is often the case too, and in some airports, the Starbucks is open 24 hours, such as Edinburgh International Airport. This is because flight times are sporadic, so there will be travellers coming through at all hours of the day, in need of a coffee. Starbucks morning opening hours on Christmas & Thanksgiving If you and the family feel like grabbing a morning brew to prepare you for all of the madness surrounding the holidays, then you’re in luck, as some Starbucks locations are open during Christmas and Thanksgiving. This isn’t to say that it’s a guarantee, as usually, only select Starbucks locations will be open Christmas Day, with hours varying by store and some on reduced schedules. This might mean that if you have a store open near you, you might have to wait a little longer for that first sip of cold brew. Target Starbucks and 24/7 morning opening hours If you’re planning to visit a Starbucks situated inside a Target store, these will typically cater to customers from 8AM onwards, running through until 9PM when the store closes. You can find some gems, however, as some Starbucks stores run 24/7, so you can grab your coffee anytime. We’d recommend that you take a look at the Starbucks store locator to try and find one of these, as it can provide more detailed advice regarding opening and closing times. Starbucks morning opening times Saturday & Sunday Although some Starbucks locations will operate as usual, and open their doors to customers on the weekend with the same schedule as weekdays, some hours will change at the weekends. For example, this store in Alabama opens its store only half an hour later on weekends, at 5:30AM instead of 5. Whereas, this Starbucks in Kentucky is completely closed on weekends. Whip up your own Starbucks coffee If all else fails, and you’re simply dying for your morning coffee, why not whip up your own Starbucks drink at home? The brand sells a wealth of coffee beans and grounds in-store, that you can pick up to create your own Starbucks drinks whenever you desire. They also have pods flavored in some of their most popular items in-store, such as the Caramel Macchiato, and the Vanilla Macchiato. Or, if you’re feeling slightly more adventurous, there are a bunch of recipes online to create secret menu items at home. Take our delicious recipe for Starbcuks’ ever popular ‘Pink Drink,’ for example. So, while it’s might not be easy to know when exactly your local Starbucks opens in the morning, there are some general guidelines to follow. 5 – 7AM is a safe bet for most stores, and will typically be affected by how rural the surrounding area is. You can of course use Starbucks’ handy store locator, so that you can get more information about your local store before heading out in the morning.

Social media TikTok is filled with viral food and drink videos, ranging from hacks that make cooking easier to delicious recipes that are both tasty and easy to make. Now, a food trend known as the ‘cottage cheese baking’ hack is taking off on the platform, as people are baking cottage cheese to create a high-protein, low-carb alternative to traditional baked goods. TikTok’s cottage cheese baking hack explained The trend involves spreading a layer of cottage cheese on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and then cooking it in the oven until it achieves a desired consistency. This can vary from slightly crispy to completely crunchy, depending on the baking duration and temperature. The hack promotes a high-protein, low-carb, and gluten-free alternative to traditional breads and wraps, which would appeal for anyone looking to increase their protein intake without relying heavily on meats or synthetic supplement. Victoria Minell, an Australian TikToker with over 1.2 million followers, helped popularize the trend after sharing a simple baked cottage cheese how-to video with her viewers. She told Fox News Digital the hack is “super versatile, high in protein, low-carb and a great gluten-free option.” In her clip, Minell turned baked cottage cheese into a bread substitute, which she then used to make a prosciutto and tomato wrap. So far, the video has racked up over 11.3 million views, and it’s inspired many to experiment with their own versions of the protein hack. Content creator Ashley McCrary, known as Healthy Little Peach, also posted a video of herself baking cottage cheese, amassing over 2.9 million views. “People are always looking for delicious ways to boost their protein intake, and cottage cheese has recently become incredibly popular,” she told the outlet. The recipe she created has a few additional ingredients, including one cup of cottage cheese, two eggs, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder and 1 ½ teaspoons of Italian seasoning. McCrary uses a blender or food processor to thoroughly blend the ingredients. She then lines a baking pan with parchment paper and evenly pours the cheese mix onto it. From there, she bakes it for 40 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a crispy, protein-rich addition to her meal. This is just the latest food trend to pop off on TikTok, after the bizarre ‘lemon snack’ craze had people eating whole lemons and peels.

The short video doesn’t provide any context about the burger itself, and ends after she takes a bite of the burger, simply telling viewers, “I like it.” It became a major talking point on the platform, with many viewers confused as to whether or not the product was legitimate, having never seen anything like it before. “Where is the McOcean burger at?” one asked, while another said, “I can’t find ANYTHING on this sandwich besides this video.” It blew up so much that former corporate McDonald’s chef, Mike Haracz, even responded. In his video, he told viewers that he believed the video was fake for two key reasons. The first was that “McDonald’s has to put its ingredients’ nutritional information out there in the world, and when you search the McOcean burger, nothing comes up.” The second reason, which he said only a trained McDonald’s chef would pick up on, is that “when you make a Fillet O Fish, you have one side that has the cheese and one side that has the fish. “The other side has a bunch of the sauce, but if you look at this picture (screenshot of open-faced McOcean) it looks like there’s a lot of sauce under the octopus, and then a little bit left on top of the crown. This means she opened up the Filet O Fish, added a bunch of stuff to it, then closed it, meaning that it’s probably not true.” This isn’t the first time that a fake fast food item has gone viral on TikTok, In December 2023, a rumor spread that Wendy’s was actually selling crab legs.

  • What is the viral Starbucks ‘cracking coffee’ trend on TikTok? – Dexerto

What is the viral Starbucks ‘cracking coffee’ trend on TikTok? TikTok: @coffeewithcarlsThere’s a brand new ‘Starbucks’ food trend making its way around TikTok called ‘cracking coffee,’ and it promises a fun new way to enjoy your morning brew. If you’ve been scrolling through TikTok this July, then you might have come across a bunch of videos of people ‘cracking’ plastic coffee cups. But what is this new trend and how does it work? In one of these viral videos, we saw TikToker Carls demonstrating how to create the new trend. In the one-minute piece, she grabbed a large glass bowl, where she tipped a ton of white chocolate chips. After that, she proceeded to put it in the microwave so that the entire thing melted. She then got herself a plastic cup, similar to the ones sold at Starbucks, and scooped in the chocolate, covering the inside fully. Carls then put the cup in the freezer, before taking it out again later and filling it with plenty of ice cubes, her syrup flavor of choice, oat milk, and finally two shots of espresso. After stirring it all up, she brought the coffee into view, and proceeded to ‘crack’ the walls of the cup where the chocolate had solidified, producing a satisfying crackling sound as it all broke off. The question is, why has the ‘cracking coffee’ trend become so popular on the platform? Well, according to the comments section, it seems to produce an effect akin to ASMR. “I’ve watched this like 5 times,” one wrote underneath the video. “Your videos are so soothing and calm they just help me sleep,” another said. “As per usual my coffee is always bomb, but there’s a crunch” she said after sampling the iced beverage. “For sure it’s not something I will be doing every day, because honey that is hot chocolate,” Gina proclaimed. “I need to try to make this but all that chocolate. I don’t like it so sweet but we’ll see,” a commenter underneath concurred. This isn’t the only food ‘hack’ that’s gone viral on TikTok this summer. In May, a mom took to the platform to show users that they’d been using Happy Meal boxes wrong their entire lives.

  • What is the viral KFC buffet and is it real? – Dexerto

What is the viral KFC buffet and is it real? Tess Cooks 4uYou may have heard about the elusive KFC buffet, the likes of which are only spoken about in whispers on the internet. But is it still a thing? In 2023, we saw photographs circulating the web, showcasing nostalgic images of KFC’s beloved buffets, which appear to no longer exist. However, this isn’t the case, as there are still KFC restaurant locations that carry the ever popular buffet style of dining. We can see this in a TikTok video that’s currently making it’s rounds on the platform. In the video, a woman and her daughter can be seen walking into what looks like a regular KFC in Kentucky. “What is special about this KFC?” the woman can be heard asking. It’s not long until we can see what all the fuss is about, as she enters the store and reveals a full buffet spread packed with chicken and plenty of sides. Contents Where are the KFC buffets located? – Why don’t all KFC locations have buffets anymore? – Where is the KFC buffet in Japan? – History of the KFC buffet – Where are the KFC buffets located? Aside from the one in Kentucky revealed by the woman above, where are the other KFC buffets located? As you’ll be well aware, they’re only in a few select locations scattered across the US. Though KFC do boast a store locator on their website, they don’t actually have any information regarding whether or not the stores carry a buffet, which has led some Kentucky fried fans to do some investigation. The Facebook group, KFC Buffet Aficionados, boasts 1.6k members, and dedicates their time to finding buffet locations for KFC restaurants. According to their research, there are buffets located in: Pell City – Batesville – Berryville – Clarksville – Mountain View – Mitchell – Mt. Vernon – Magee – Vicksburg – Burgaw – Clinton – Dunn – Washington – Bartlesville – Jenks – Sapulpa – Georgetown – Greenwood – Piedmont – Seneca – Weyburn – Sparta – In terms of pricing, a member of the group who visited a buffet location in Sparta claimed that the buffet cost “$8 if you want a fountain drink or $7 if ordering water.” Why don’t all KFC locations have buffets anymore? Regarding why all KFC locations don’t have buffets anymore, there is no definitive answer to this question. Due to COVID dining restrictions issues throughout the course of 2020, many closures were made to KFC’s buffets. Where is the KFC buffet in Japan? Japan does indeed boast a coveted KFC buffet, and it’s located in the country’s capital, Tokyo. Specifically, it’s in Minami-Machida Grandberry Park, which is a large shopping centre. In the buffet, you can find all manner of different treats, including the chain’s signature fried chicken, biscuits, pasta, french fries, curry, soup, salad and dessert. The buffet is limited to 80 minutes and costs ¥2,480 per person for lunch, and ¥2,880 for dinner. It also includes bottomless soft drinks, but you can add an all-you-can-drink alcohol package for an additional ¥1,500. History of the KFC buffet The KFC buffet was first introduced in the 1980s, initially as a form of competing with other fast food giants, such as McDonald’s and Burger King. The buffet style of dining provided consumers with a greater selection of menu items, and was popular among consumers because it allowed them to sample as many things as they liked, while only paying a fixed price. The buffet grew and grew over the years, and added additional items such as sides, desserts, and sometimes even breakfast items. Surprisingly, some of these also included more unusual foods, such as Mexican and seafood, which demonstrates the wealth of options available at KFC buffets. However, as time moved on, the chain’s focus shifted to drive-thrus and deliveries, and so only a limited number of buffets still exist at KFC. Another thing that’s got people talking is the Starbucks secret menu, but is it actually a thing?

  • What is the Starbucks secret menu and is it actually real? – Dexerto

What is the Starbucks secret menu and is it actually real? The List / XIf you’re on any social media, you’ll have heard of the Starbucks secret menu, but what actually is it? And how do you order from it? Starbucks secret menu items are created all the time by people online, but that doesn’t mean your barista is aware of them. Here, you’ll find out what the Starbucks secret menu is, how to order from it and what to expect from your barista. You’ll also find some of the most popular Starbucks secret menu items in 2024. What is the Starbucks secret menu? If you’ve ever been to Starbucks, you’ll know that they focus on handcrafted beverages that are highly customizable. You can change your milk, add syrups, and even dictate how your coffee is brewed. Because they have so many options, people online get creative and make up their own drink recipes and post them online as part of a ‘secret’ menu. So essentially, the Starbucks secret menu is a list of customized drinks invented by people online and then made popular through social media. Is the secret menu real? The secret menu is not actually a real menu offered by Starbucks. This is because Starbucks baristas are not trained to expect customers to perform some secret signal that is code for an off-menu drink. The drinks are real though, if you know how to go about getting them. Don’t approach your barista and ask for the ‘unicorn frappuccino’ or something else equally as vague, and expect them to know the recipe for that drink off by heart. Instead, you’ll need to give them the instructions for how you’d like it made, based on the ‘secret menu’ item you desire. How to order from the secret menu If you want to try a new viral secret menu drink from Starbucks, make sure you have the recipe written down somewhere so you can show your barista in-store or enter it in the Starbucks app when you are customizing your drink. You’ll usually be able to find the recipe in the video you are watching (a lot of them are posted by baristas themselves) or in the comments/thread underneath a post. If you don’t know the recipe, you could ask your barista if they know what is in the latest viral drink, but there is no guarantee of this. If the Starbucks store that you are in has the ingredients for the drink that you’ve requested and your barista has some type of directions for making the drink, they will have no problem making it for you. Just note that the drink will likely be on the pricier side as extra like syrups and shots are charged per item. If you regularly drink customized Starbucks drinks, you should download the Starbucks Rewards app and pay through that, as once you get 300 stars in a year, you’ll automatically become a gold member and get all extras in drinks for free. Every dollar spent earns you one star. Starbucks’ most popular secret menu drinks 2024 Now that you know how to order from the secret menu, why not give some of these popular drinks a try?

  • What is the ‘candy salad’ trend on TikTok? Sweet-toothed craze explained – Dexerto

What is the ‘candy salad’ trend on TikTok? Sweet-toothed craze explained TikTokPeople on TikTok are going wild for the new ‘candy salad’ trend, so much so, that the hashtag ‘#candysalad’ has been used over 125 million times. Candy salads are nothing like the leafy green bowls you know, though. The trend involves dumping lots of different types of candy into a bowl, mixing it up, and sharing it with friends or family. The fun part about the trend though, is that the salad becomes a group effort. Someone brings the bowl, and everyone in the group dumps in a pack of their favorite candy: This trend is ideal for the next movie night, road trip, or hang session with your buddies, as it ensures everyone gets a snack of their choice. However, the best bit about this trend is that no one has any idea how the candy salad will turn out, and you can’t tell anyone else in the group what you are providing. This has led to some pretty dire outcomes, including this one: People in the comments were roasting this group, with someone commenting: “I searched ‘worst candy salad’ and this came up.” And another noted: “Raisinets, mentos, cashews, sprinkles, hot tamales, York patties this has to be the worst candy salad of all time.” Some people even noticed that one guy just takes some Skittles out of his pocket and throws them into the mix. This video went so viral, that candy brand Swedish Fish commented, saying they were honored to be included in this ‘salad’. If you don’t have a big group of friends or family members to make a candy salad with, have no fear, because some people are making videos where they and one friend just put on wigs and fill bowls up with all their favorite treats pretending to be different characters. If these candy salads are making your sweet tooth tingle, you should try McDonald’s new churro McShaker Fries that turn their iconic fries into a dessert.

  • What is the most popular item at McDonald’s? – Dexerto

What is the most popular item at McDonald’s? Unsplash: emil huangUndoubtedly one of the most popular fast food chains in the world, McDonald’s boasts many fan favorites, but what is the most popular item on their menu? First opening in Des Plaines, Illinois, in 1955, McDonald’s has 36,000 restaurants in over 100 nations. The most recent opening was in Kazakhstan in 2016. It has subsequently worked its way into the hearts of people everywhere, as we reminisce of childhood memories, driving toward the golden arches. McDonald’s boasts a whole host of fan favorites when it comes to their menu items, many of which are long-established. The Big Mac, for example, was introduced way back in 1968, while the quarter pounder first made its way to menus in 1973. But, there’s one menu item that trumps all the rest when it comes to popularity – do you know what it is? What is McDonald’s most popular item? As it turns out, the answer itself is quite obvious – the french fries are the most popular item on their menu. Did you know that they sell over 9 million pounds of fries per day? Pretty crazy stuff. McDonald’s french fries are a signature item at the chain, being incredibly difficult to replicate anywhere else. But why do they taste so good? Well, there’s actually a science behind it. McDonald’s uses the perfect combination of salt, sugar, and fat. As well as this, it’s the quality of the potatoes they choose, which include Russet Burbank, Ranger Russet, Umatilla Russet, and Shepody potatoes. Finally, both the oil and salt also contribute toward their signature flavor. So there you have it. Next time you’re chowing down on an order of fries at McDonald’s, you’ll know exactly why they taste so good.

  • What is the burn away cake trend on TikTok? – Dexerto

What is the burn away cake trend on TikTok? TikTok: @thecarboholicIf you’ve been exploring TikTok lately, you’ve probably come across the burn away cake trend, but if you’re out of loop and wondering what it’s all about, we’ve got you covered. The burn away cake is the latest trend igniting the internet, with everyone flooding TikTok with videos of their novel cakes. The idea behind the trend is actually pretty simple – cakes come with an image printed upon them, that when set ablaze, reveals a secret hidden image underneath. This can be used for all manner of celebrations, and adds an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. It turns out that the trend has been around for a while, but has seen a resurgence thanks to Denise Delights, who posted a new year’s eve cake that burned away to reveal a Taylor Swift reference that read, “In My 2004 Era.” Now that Valentine’s season is here, many people are ordering burn away cakes to ask that special someone in their life. How do burn away cakes work? Now that you’ve got the lowdown on the trend, you’re probably wondering how they actually work. Well, they’re made using edible ink printers. This might seem like a novel practice, but lots of bakeries use this method all the time. The sheets of paper are made to ignite, and consist of sugar, rice, and other forms of starch, all of which promise a fiery finish. The image underneath is made of regular frosting, separated by a border made of even more frosting, which helps to create a gap. Cakes need to be fresh to be set ablaze, and won’t work if left in the refrigerator overnight. Another trend taking over TikTok at the moment, also in time for Valentine’s, is the “take a look at my girlfriend” trend.

Value meal cost: $6.00 – Included items: Tall iced or hot coffee or tea and breakfast sandwich – Combined menu price of individual items: $9.20 – Savings: $3.20 (35%) – 6. • What is the best Wingstop flavor? All chicken wing flavors ranked worst to best – Dexerto

What is the best Wingstop flavor? All chicken wing flavors ranked worst to best WingstopWhether you’re grabbing some wings for the big game, or just need your chicken fix – the flavor you pick for your chicken wings can make or break a meal. Wingstop boasts 14 different sauces and rubs, but only one comes out on top as the best Wingstop flavor – which one are you betting on? Wingstop is a relatively new fast-food chain that has been making waves with foodies across the US and has recently branched out with worldwide stores. They opened their first stores in 1994, but recently have been becoming more and more popular across social media, and for good reason. Contents: What is Wingstop? Wingstop serves up chicken wings made fresh to order, and they specialize in various different sauces and spices to toss your wings in so that your wings taste exactly how you want them every time. They also serve up fries, corn, mac and cheese, and all the other sides you’d expect to find at a fried chicken place. Wingstop stores are franchised, and Grammy-nominated rapper Rick Ross owns several locations across the US, which could explain why they always have a great playlist blasting. He recommends the lemon pepper rub, and it does rank fairly high on our list, too. Wingstop flavors ranked worst to best Wingstop has 14 flavors on their standard menu. These are a mix of rubs, spice mixes, and sauces all tossed together to create a unique flavor for each. Note that they do sometimes add new flavors, but these are usually only available for a limited time, so they won’t be on this list. 14. Plain If you’re going to Wingstop and just ordering plain chicken wings, or worse, plain boneless chicken wings (which are just basically nuggets) you need to take a long, hard look at yourself. The chicken tastes fine on its own, but it’s not in the spirit of Wingstop. 13. Mild This is like your usual buffalo chicken wing flavor, but a little milder for those who find buffalo too hot. There is nothing wrong with this flavor, it’s delicious. The only reason it comes so low in our ranking is simply because it’s kind of basic and Wingstop has many more exciting flavors to choose from. 12. Atomic As the name suggests, this is what Wingstop say is their hottest flavor, although the mango habanero is arguably hotter. The sauce on this one is spicy but still maintains an actual flavor similar to the original hot. The only downside is that it’s so hot, you’ll lose your ability to taste after a few bites. 11. Mango habanero This flavor is kind of a disappointment. Habanero peppers have a really earthy, peppery taste – as well as providing that all-important spice, but you expect the sweet stickiness of the mango to cut through that. However, the pepper is too overpowering and the mango doesn’t really come through. That being said, this one provides the perfect level of heat. 10. Hawaiian This one tastes really good. Wingstop describes it as being a blend of ‘citrus fruits and Asian flavors’ and there is definitely a hint of pineapple, soy, and ginger in there. The only problem with this sauce is that it is kind of overpowering, and is crazy salty to balance out the sweetness. It’s great, but definitely an order to share because it’s pretty intense. 9. Louisiana rub This is like all the flavors of a good shrimp hot pot on fried chicken. It’s essentially a mix of the cajun, original hot, and lemon pepper flavors together, giving it a mildly grainy texture. The flavor is really good, but it’s so loaded with seasoning that there is an unpleasant aftertaste in the form of too much salt. Still, it’s a good one to pair with some ranch. 8. Garlic parmesan Garlicy, buttery, and cheesy – what’s not to love? The only criticism of this flavor is that the parmesan flavor could be a little stronger so that the garlic butter is not so overpowering. Maybe the parmesan could be melted in some way so that it’s crispy, because it can end up being soggy when you’re eating it with breaded chicken covered in butter. That being said though, this flavor will have you begging for just one more wing. 7. Hickory smoked BBQ Barbecue sauce is a classic flavor to pair with fried chicken, and when it’s hickory smoked, you know you’re going to get that blend of sweetness, smokiness and a mild layer of heat. This sauce provides all that, but could do with a little tweaking. It’s flavor is a little too dark, which can make it taste like soy sauce. Dip this with some honey mustard though, and the sweetness from that sauce brings it to whole new levels of tasty. 6. Cajun This one really seems like it should be nicer than it is. It’s essentially the original hot with cajun spices added, but the spices are too loud to allow the hot sauce to shine through, and the hot sauce simultaneously buries the spices. All in all, it’s spicy and salty, but doesn’t go much deeper than that. It’s like classic chicken wing flavor, but amplified, so it will definitely satisfy that craving. 5. Original hot This is probably Wingstop’s most popular flavor, and for good reason. It has the same buffalo flavors as the mild one, but the spice is heightened to create a great classic buffalo sauce. It’s tangy, spicy, a little sweet, and goes perfectly with ranch – what more could you ask for? 4. Lemon pepper This is Rick Ross’ favorite flavor, and for good reason. It has that peppery taste that works so well with crispy chicken, all of which is carried by that tangy lemon sourness. This cuts through the greasiness of it all and makes this flavor choice both refreshing and indulgent. 3. Carolina gold BBQ This is a honey mustard rub that works beautifully with the humble chicken wing. It kind of tastes like Chinese honey chicken fingers (which is a compliment) and has a sweet flavor without being as dark and complex as the hickory smoked BBQ or Korean one. A good solid choice that won’t disappoint. 2. Spicy Korean Q This is made with ginger, garlic, Sriracha, and crushed red pepper – so is essentially a gochujang rub. Like all good Asian flavors, it’s a little spicy, a little sweet, and has a deliciously umami flavor. It hits all those sweet spots that you would expect, and does it without being too much. A great choice at Wingstop. 1. Hot honey rub It’s buttery, it’s sweet, and it has a nice heat to carry you all the way through your eating experience. Hot honey anything has been blowing up lately, and this flavor from Wingstop is no exception. It tastes exactly as you’d expect, but somehow better. With a butteriness that goes so well with the crispy chicken, and a undertone of spice that is hard to pinpoint exactly what it’s made from, but is utterly delicious. It’s all in the dipping sauce Whatever chicken type you choose (wings, boneless wings, tenders, or burger) and whatever flavor you choose, it’s essential to get the dipping sauce right. Although blue cheese is the classic pick for chicken wings, it can come off a little sickly with some of the sweeter flavors listed above. With most of these, the classic ranch sauce from Wingstop will make those flavors even better. Oh, and don’t forget to order churros for dessert. If you still need something to cool your tastebuds down with after those chicken wings, why not consult the Refreshers from Starbucks ranking? Or, if you’re still peckish, see how all the items on the McDonald’s dollar menu compare.

  • What is the best Starbucks Refresher and Iced Energy Drink? Top 15 ranked according to an ex-barista – Dexerto

What is the best Starbucks Refresher and Iced Energy Drink? Top 15 ranked according to an ex-barista Starbucks storiesStarbucks refreshers are the perfect thirst quencher for a hot day, and here’s a definitive ranking of the best ones, according to someone who used to work there. Refreshers were introduced to Starbucks in 2008, and during my time working there, there was at least one new Refresher introduced with every seasonal menu change up, especially in Summer. These drinks always come in fun colors, so are a big draw for people who like to post their Starbucks drinks on social media (everyone). On top of this, they are a great option if you’re not feeling coffee on a hot day. What is a Starbucks Refresher? Refreshers come in 4 main forms: Standard Refreshers, frozen Refreshers, coconut milk Refreshers, and lemonades. They are essentially juice mixes, lemonade mixes, or juices mixed with coconut milk to create drinks that other brands would call a ‘cooler’. Whilst Starbucks Frappuccinos is another great iced drink option from Starbucks, the Refreshers are definitely more “refreshing”, as it says in the name. Note that Refreshers are not the same as Starbucks iced teas, and contrary to popular belief, they do actually contain caffeine. For example, the strawberry açai Refresher contains about a third of the caffeine that’s in an iced latte. This is due to the green coffee extract that is meant to give drinkers an energy boost without the taste of coffee. Best Starbucks Refreshers ranked In this list, I’ll only include the Refreshers that are currently available in the US. They do change up the Refresher menu quite regularly, so just check what’s available at your store before you order. Also remember that you can add syrups/lemonades etc and customize your Refresher, as with all Starbucks drinks. 15. Spicy dragonfruit The new spicy range that Starbucks launched is a cool take on the food trend of adding spice to fruity drinks or food. That being said, the spiciness works better with the other fruit drinks in the spicy range. It’s not bad with the dragonfruit, but it’s definitely a required taste. 14. Pineapple passionfruit Starbucks Refresher Pineapple and passionfruit is a flavor combination that you hope would be equal parts sweet and tangy, but full of flavor nonetheless. However, with this drink, the flavors are a little watered down. The lemonade version of this drink is really good, but as the standard Refreshers are made with water, this one just isn’t sweet enough. If you like something more subtle, this is a good choice for you. 13. Dragon drink Starbucks Refresher with Oleato Golden Foam The Oleato Golden Foam at Starbucks is cold foam made with vanilla and extra-virgin olive oil. This cold foam is available on some of their coffees for an Italian-inspired treat. Although this drink looks cool and has a fancy name, it’s A LOT. The flavors are pretty intense and are something you’ll either love or hate. It definitely doesn’t taste like anything you’ve had before. 12. Spicy Strawberry The spicy strawberry is really good. The strawberry refresher itself is really sweet, so the little burst of heat is a flavor sensation. The drink is also made with lemonade, so you then get a little tang to finish things off. This drink has the complex flavors of a fancy cocktail that costs like $15 and will make you feel like you’re on vacation. 11. Spicy Pineapple The spicy pineapple is just slightly better than the strawberry. The flavor sensations are pretty similar with the heat, sweetness, and tanginess. However, the tropical flavors of the pineapple pair slightly better with the spiciness. 10. Paradise Drink The Paradise Drink is the pineapple and passionfruit Refresher with coconut milk added. This flavor combination makes for a drink that tastes like if an orange creamsicle went on a Caribbean cruise. The coconut, pineapple, and passionfruit give it a pina colada vibe that’s perfect for summer. The name says it all. 9. Mango dragonfruit Starbucks Refresher Dragonfruit is a pretty exotic fruit, so it’s cool to see actual pieces of the fruit in this drink. The drink is also a vibrant pink color that’s fun to take a photo of. On top of this, the taste is unique, however, the mango flavor is not that strong. 8. Frozen pineapple passionfruit lemonade Refresher Everything tastes better when it’s in slush form, prove me wrong. These drinks are just the pineapple passionfruit lemonade blended and swirled with some strawberry puree, but they look really cool – and they taste even better. 7. Summer Skies Drink The Summer Skies drink is part of the Summer Refreshers menu that was launched on May 7, 2024, this drink is made with berry-flavored juice, mixed with coconut milk and a raspberry-popping boba. This is a drink that looks like a cloudless Summer’s day and tastes like one too. 6. Summer-berry Starbucks Refresher This drink is made with blueberry concentrate, water, and raspberry-popping boba. This drink is the standard version of the new Summer Refreshers and isn’t too sweet if you don’t want anything too overpowering. 5. Summer-berry lemonade Starbucks Refresher This one is pretty much the same as the standard Refresher, but it has lemonade instead of water. It gives the drink a stronger flavor with a tiny bit of tanginess, which makes it all the better. 4. Pink drink The Pink Drink is the Refresher that made these drinks viral, and that’s why it comes in at number four. People may shrug this off as a drink for children because it tastes like strawberry milk – but who doesn’t like strawberry milk? 3. Dragon drink This is just like The Pink Drink, but it’s made with mango dragonfruit concentrate and dragonfruit pieces – it’s like tropical-flavored milk and it tastes so good. It’s the perfect mix of refreshing and sweet and it looks great too. 2. Paradise drink Starbucks Refresher with Oleato Golden foam This one is the paradise drink with the aforementioned vanilla and olive oil cold foam, which surprisingly works really well on this drink. With the coconut, pineapple, and vanilla flavors, it has a really complex flavor and the cold foam gives it a smoothie-like texture. 1. Strawberry açai Starbucks Refresher Look, sometimes you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. The Strawberry açai Refresher is the OG Starbucks Refresher and it tastes really good. It’s sweet, has whole strawberry pieces, and is like a more grown-up Pink Drink. If you don’t feel like leaving the house, try making one of Starbucks’ most popular drinks at home. Just find an apron lying around (dye it green if you really want to commit), whip out your blender, and have the real thing practically anytime. Starbucks Energy Drinks ranked In June 2024, Starbucks launched energy drinks, following in the footsteps of other chains that have released energy drinks this year. Although these new drinks are slightly sparkling, they are similar to their Refreshas that contain green coffee bean extract for energy; so let’s rank those, too. 3. Frozen Tropical Citrus Iced Energy with strawberry puree Wow, that’s a mouthful. This drink blends up elements of the other two sparkling energy drinks, and although it’s nice for a hit day, the sparkling element of the new drinks is unique for Starbucks, so it seems counterintuitive to blend it up. That being said, the flavor is okay, if a little too busy. 2. Tropical Citrus Iced Energy This drink has flavors of passionfruit, citrus, and slightly minty green tea. It is very similar in taste to a tropical Red Bull if it tasted a little more like a mocktail rather than a can that you bought at 7/11. Overall, a very nice drink that will give you a boost throughout the day. 1. Melon Burst Iced Energy The melon energy drink is definitely the best one, mainly because its flavor that consists of melon, cucumber and Passion Tango tea. The flavor is unique and not like anything Starbucks has served before. On top of that, the cucumber cuts through the sweetness of the melon nicely.

  • What is Starbucks’ healthiest drink? Lowest calorie items revealed – Dexerto

What is Starbucks’ healthiest drink? Lowest calorie items revealed FlickrStarbucks is known across the world for its colorful coffee drinks, which can be daunting for dieters and people adopting a more nutritious lifestyle. So what is the healthiest option fans can order from the chain? There’s no question that Starbucks is the world’s most prominent coffee chain, taking over the globe with storefronts across every continent. Starting out as a fast-casual coffee chain, with very little on the menu, they now boast some of the world’s most classic seasonal beverages, such as the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and the Peppermint Mocha, as well as their famous Frappuccino varieties. However, some of the tastiest beverages sold by the chain might also be the unhealthiest. For example, if you were to order their seasonal Caramel Brulée Frappuccino Blended Beverage, this would ring in at about 400 calories, despite its deceptively simple appearance. Another example is their Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, which features a rich vanilla sauce, Frappuccino chips, whipped cream, and cookie crumbles. This drink weighs in at another huge 480 calories. These numbers certainly make us think twice about what we’re consuming. This brings us to our burning question. Now that we’ve covered some of the most calorific drinks on the whole menu, what are some healthy options you can turn to when you’re trying to shed a few extra pounds? What are some healthy drink options I can order at Starbucks? It seems that the biggest culprit with Starbucks drinks is their sugar content. According to the American Heart Association, men should not consume more than 36 grams of added sugar, and women no more than 25 grams. To put this into perspective, a grande Caffè Mocha from Starbucks has 35 grams of sugar. “If you’re having food or drinks that are high in this added sugar, it can displace healthier, more nutrient-dense foods in the diet… And anytime that we’re displacing nutrient-dense foods, we can have potential deficiencies come up down the line,” health nutritionist Kat Benson says. This means that the less added sugar in your Starbucks beverage, the better. So ordering a plain coffee from the chain, without any additional syrups or sugar would be the safest option. You can also try customizing your beverage, as per Benson’s recommendations. She says to ask for a fewer pumps of syrup in your drink, or maybe skip the whipped cream now and then. All these little changes help in the long run.

  • What is fluffy Coca-Cola? Viral TikTok drink explained – Dexerto

What is fluffy Coca-Cola? Viral TikTok drink explained TikTokFluffy Coca-Cola is the latest in the ‘dirty soda’ trend that has been sweeping TikTok for some time now, and the sugar-heavy drink looks to be a real treat. The trend originated when TikToker @not.eg, who goes by Emma Grace, posted a video of her and her grandmother ‘Memama’ making one of these ‘fluffy Coca-Cola’ drinks. Dirty sodas have become a craze, especially across the Southern States, and Emma Grace’s grandmother has created a viral internet trend involving the new drink. What is fluffy Coca-Cola? The drink is pretty simple to make, and involves lining a glass with marshmallow fluff so that the whole inside of the glass is white. You can use different flavors of marshmallow fluff, but the classic is recommended for it’s vanilla flavor. Then, you’re going to want to add some crushed ice to the glass, and simply pour in your Coca-Cola of choice. Grab your straw, give it a stir to mix in some of the marshmallow, and you’re done. The best part about this drink is that the marshmallow lumps can be sucked up your straw, adding a kick of sweetness to the refreshing drink. On top of that, the vanilla flavor from the marshmallow fluff works well with the Coke’s caramel-sweetness. What is a dirty soda? Dirty sodas started out as soda drinks with creamers added to make them ‘dirty’. This trend of sodas became popular in Utah at small, regional chains like Swig, where they add flavors and cream to any number of sodas to make them even sweeter. The drinks gained popularity in Utah because it has a large Mormon population, and due to their religious beliefs, they aren’t allowed to drink tea, coffee, or energy drinks. These dirty sodas then became a way for people to enjoy drinks with the flavors of iced coffees, but using Cola instead of espresso. Fluffy Coca-Cola reviews This video trend has fans calling out for “fluffy everything, please”, and people have been blown away by how good this drink tastes. It is being commended for the way that it can give you a little pick-me-up in the afternoon, without giving yourself a caffeine headache. The trend has become so popular, that Coca-Cola themselves commented on the original video, saying, “Protect Memama at all costs.” Others are getting creative with the drinks, and using Dr. Pepper or root beer instead of cola. There was also another iteration that added cherry syrup and crushed cherries at the bottom of the glass. This isn’t the only crazy drink trend going viral on TikTok; ‘ sink drinks’ have become so popular that experts have had to warn against them.

  • What is McDonald’s $12 dinner box on their secret menu? – Dexerto

What is McDonald’s $12 dinner box on their secret menu? TikTok: xoloveleiA woman and her family ordered the $12 dinner box on McDonald’s secret menu. Here’s what was inside. TikToker xolovelei often shares meal and travel options when on a budget with her 21k followers. In one of her most recent TikToks, xolovelei went to McDonald’s and ordered the dinner box on their secret menu. The box consisted of plenty of options and was more affordable than ordering singular items. Here are all the details. Viewers share the prices of McDonald’s dinner boxes in their states Xolovelei and her family were stoked when their local McDonald’s knew what to give them when she ordered a dinner box. The $12 box includes two cheeseburgers, four small french fries, a 10-piece nugget, and two Big Macs — making it more affordable than if you ordered only two Big Macs. The dinner box also comes with a choice of sauces for the nuggets, which one of xolovelei’s kids were extremely excited about. The one downfall of the McDonald’s dinner box, though, is that it does not include drinks. Despite no beverages, viewers of xolovelei’s now-viral video were shocked by the price, saying it was “cheap.” Others mentioned how much the McDonald’s bundles in their states are. “In the Bundle Box Las Vegas comes with 2 Big Mac 2 Cheeseburgers 10pc Chix Nuggets 2 Medium Fries $14.99,” wrote one user. “Dinner box in NC is $18.99 — but still not a bad deal,” wrote another. One viewer also said McDonald’s has a dinner box with McChickens instead of cheeseburgers. Though there are significant differences in prices within certain states, the McDonald’s dinner box is a steal for what’s inside. For customers looking to order from the mobile app, it may be listed under the “shareables” section. If not, xolovelei’s method of ordering in the drive-thru worked just fine.

  • What is Dubai chocolate? Viral TikTok food explained and where to find it in the US – Dexerto

What is Dubai chocolate? Viral TikTok food explained and where to find it in the US EtsyThese bright green slabs of Dubai chocolate are huge, and they’re going viral on TikTok. As the name suggests, they are only sold exclusively in Dubai, so people in the US need to get creative if they want to try out this viral food trend. FoodTok has been overrun with viral videos of these ginormous treats that are colorful inside, and out. The original Dubai Chocolate bar comes from Fix Dessert Chocolatier, a high-end chocolate shop that specializes in luxury chocolate bars. Videos of people eating these crunchy chocolate bars have garnered millions of views, and according to some people that have gotten their hands on the chocolate bars, the chocolate shop launches these bars on their website at 5pm, and they are all sold out within minutes, even though a single bar sells for $100. Although there are a range of chocolate bars that contain nuts, caramel, and different types of chocolate, the most popular bar is the “Can’t Get Knafeh” bar. The outside of the bar is hand-painted with edible splatter marks and the filling is packed with pistachios and knafeh, a Middle Eastern dessert made with sweet and buttery phyllo pastry strands. The chocolate bars are only available in the city, so people outside of Dubai will need to get their chef’s hats on if they want to try out this viral green snack. TikToks like this have gone viral, showing how you can make your own version of the Dubai chocolate bar at home: The chef in this video uses strands of knafeh that he toasts in a pan, before mixing it into pistachio nutella-style spread with a good dollop of tahini to add to that nutty flavor. All of these filling can be bought on Amazon, and you’ll also need to get a chocolate bar mould and melt down multiple of your favorite chocolate bars. Copycat versions sold on Amazon and Etsy have mixed reviews and can range in price from $18 to $54. Now, candy shops nationwide have started to sell their own iterations of the pistachio bar. Nuts Factory stores in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts are offering up their take on the chocolate bar, as is Truman Chocolates in Texas, Farhat Sweets in Michigan and Sweeties Candy Cottage in Long Island, New York. This isn’t the only green food that’s going viral on TikTok; these cucumber salads have become so popular that cucumbers in Iceland are in shortage.

  • What is Erewhon? America’s most expensive grocery store that’s going viral – Dexerto

What is Erewhon? America’s most expensive grocery store that’s going viral Erewhon / TikTokCalifornia-based grocery store Erewhon is going viral on TikTok for its premium products and crazy prices, but is it just expensive because of the hype? Let’s dive into the facts about this grocery store that’s crawling with celebs. Would you pay $20 for a bottle of water? Or how about $27 for some tuna sushi? These prices may sound crazy, but this is what people are flocking to Erewhon to buy on the daily. The grocery store chain opened in the 1960s and now has ten stores, all located in Los Angeles, California. When it started though, it was a small market stall located in Boston and was the first of its kind to focus on macro-nutrition. The stores themselves have a health food store vibe, while maintaining a high-end beachy atmosphere. They have an extensive deli counter serving meals to take home, a café serving smoothies and sandwiches, as well as aisles upon aisles of exclusive products. Imagine Whole Foods started hanging out with the Hadids. These luxury grocery stores have been known to be frequented by celebrities (like The Kardashians) for years, but Erewhon went super viral on TikTok recently due to a smoothie that Hailey Bieber drinks. The smoothie is made from coconut cream, avocado, and strawberry and it costs $20 at Erewhon. The drink itself is a collab between Hailey Bieber and Erewhon and is called the ‘Skin Glaze’ smoothie due to it being loaded with collagen and sea moss. But, when it comes to luxury products sold here, this drink is just the tip of the iceberg. What are people saying about Erewhon? As with any viral trend, people are creating TikToks of them rating the food at Erewhon, and much like the review above by @jacksdiningroom, people admit that the food is good, but probably not worth the price they paid for it. One person commented: “You could buy a bottle of honey in the store for $80.” And another quipped: “You gotta try the $30 water.” But, that doesn’t stop people hyping it up, and there has been some buzz online that an Erewhon store will be coming to New York City, with one TikToker mentioning, “I really gotta go. I’ll take off work. I don’t care.” People agreed with her in the comments, with many people saying that they would queue for hours just to pay $17 for an ‘exclusive’ smoothie. Who can shop at Erewhon? A quick scroll down the Erewhon Instagram will show you not only their exclusive food items, but some famous faces that have been spotted shopping at Erewhon, including Olivia Rodrigo, Emma Chamberlain, and Bella Hadid. But, can you shop there even if you’re not an A-list It-Girl? Yes, you can. Anyone can shop at Erewhon, as long as you’re willing to splash out an average of $200 on a grocery shop. The exclusive supermarket chain does have a membership that costs $200 a month but comes with some perks like points for every $10 spent. Or, if you’d just like to spend your money on lattes in the café attached to every Erewhon branch, you can spend $100 a month on your membership. The memberships have come under some fire online as people don’t see the need for this price on top of an already high grocery bill, but Erewhon’s exclusivity is what has drawn people online to it in the first place. Why is Erewhon so expensive? The owners of Erewhon are under no illusion that their raw, exclusive and macro-nutrient focused products are out of the financial reach of your average person. In fact, co-owner Tony Antoci told The Hollywood Reporter: “It doesn’t bother me because it is true. We are catering to the affluent.” The founders created the ‘macrobiotic movement’ which is a diet that revolves around whole grains, organic vegan foods, and local, seasonal fruits and vegetables. They even claimed that this diet could cure cancer and other diseases, but there is no scientific evidence to back this up. Their products contain no artifical flavors, sugars or ingredients and are all organic and locally sourced. That being said, you can buy organic products elsewhere for a lot cheaper than Erewhon is selling them. For example, an organic dark chocolate bar with 70% cocoa will cost you $16.99 at Erewhon, but just $1.99 at Trader Joe’s. When speaking to the Hollywood Reporter about their prices, the founders said: “We didn’t build our business by being the most expensive or catering to celebrities. It grew very organically, which is nice.” The New York Times referred to Erewhon as, “the unofficial hangout for the young, beautiful, and bored,” which could be what draws influencers to it to try out their food. As with any LA trend, people will flock to it for a taste of the celebrity lifestyle and for many, a pricey trip to Erewhon is worth the buzz of feeling like an A-lister, and possibly meeting one too.

  • What is Crumbl Cookies? Everything you need to know about viral bakery – Dexerto

What is Crumbl Cookies? Everything you need to know about viral bakery Crumbl CookiesCrumbl is the new name on every foodie’s lips in 2024, and the viral bakery has been the fastest growing dessert chain in the history of America. You’ve probably seen their aesthetically pleasing boxes all over your TikTok, but where did they come from? When do new flavors come out? And are the cookies really worth the hype? Let’s dive into all things Crumbl Cookies, and be warned, reading this will make you hungry. What is Crumbl Cookies? Crumbl Cookies is a family affair. Cousins Jason McGowan (CEO) & Sawyer Hemsley (COO) from Utah started trying to perfect their chocolate chip cookie recipe in 2017, and after lots of failed attempts, they took their award-winning dough to the people. Since its humble beginnings in Utah, Crumbl has opened 918 stores across the US and offers online cookie delivery too. The business has grown exponentially and is now a billion-dollar company, a success which The New York Times attributes greatly to Crumbl’s social media presence. They have five million followers on Instagram, 80 million likes on TikTok (more than Taco Bell and Starbucks combined), and a whole range of beautiful cookies that are born to be famous. When do new Crumbl Cookies come out? Crumbl Cookies has an ever-changing menu that drops every single week. The lineup is made of five all-new flavors that are announced on a Sunday and available to purchase the next day, alongside their staple chocolate chip cookie that has stayed the same since opening. The menu used to be made up of four new flavors with a standing pink sugar cookie as well as the chocolate chip, but due to negative reviews, the sugar cookie was pulled. The ever-changing menu is part of Crumbl’s appeal. Because they have such a huge social media presence, they know how to keep up with the fast-paced environment that is TikTok and Instagram. On top of this, they know that people love to post Crumbl reviews, and with a new menu every week, these keep on coming. What are this week’s Crumbl Cookie flavors? For the week of September 2 to September 9, Crumbl Cookies is celebrating the launch of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie: Customers can expect to find: The Beetlejuice Afterlife Cake: A dark chocolate double layered cake with dark chocolate cream cheese frosting swirled with vanilla cream cheese. – Banana Bread: A fluffy banana bread loaf topped with a brown sugar and cinnamon streusel. – Churro: A warm and tender cookie bursting with cinnamon flavor, complete with a swirl of smooth cinnamon buttercream and a dusting of cinnamon sugar. – Strawberry Shortcake Cookie: A cakey cookie topped with silky whipped cream, freshly chopped strawberries, and a house-made strawberry jam. – Triple Chocolate Chip: A chocolate cookie packed with semi-sweet chunks, creamy white chips, and thick milk chocolate chips. – Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk: Chocolate chip, but make it chunky—a delicious cookie filled with irresistible semi-sweet chocolate chunks and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt. – Is Crumbl Cookies worth the hype? The debate surrounding this has been going on since the brand blew up on TikTok, and it seems that the internet is divided over the influencer cookies. These cookies, which are handmade and topped with aesthetically pleasing ingredients, look really good, but do they taste as good? Well, first off, they are huge. At around 10-14 inches in diameter and costing $4.50 each, there are definitely more expensive options out there that give you a smaller portion. Some people online were convinced that influencers were just jumping on the hype train for no reason, but several commenters on TikTok have assured skeptics that the hype is real, even for us regular people. One person on Reddit called out Crumbl, saying: “They’re super overpriced for what they are, because of the quality… almost every cookie is made with the same, flavorless base. They don’t put enough toppings on any of the cookies either. You’d think when they’re charging $4 a cookie, they could afford to add a little bit of dust on top of each cookie.” So, it seems that half of the population has been pulled in by the crazy flavors, huge cookies, and of course, the iconic pink boxes. But, the other half of the population claim that these cookies are overpriced and not even half as good as grandma makes. Well, according to The New York Times, the answer isn’t relevant. Whether they are worth the hype, the hype is there regardless. If people are talking about them, people will purchase Crumbl Cookies, and they’ll probably post a review too. As NYT puts it: “So are the cookies good or not? When you’ve got millions of people debating the question, the answer doesn’t really matter.” Whatever you think of Crumbl, they are definitely making waves and they made it into our ranking of the best fast food in 2024, but did they come as high up the list as you’d hope?

  • What is Club 33? Everything you need to know about Disney’s ultra-exclusive dining club – Dexerto

What is Club 33? Everything you need to know about Disney’s ultra-exclusive dining club DisneyDisneyland is full of spectacles and wonders that have been making both children’s and adult’s eyes light up for years. However, we bet you haven’t heard of the elusive members-only Club 33. The secret members’ dining club is so exclusive that people wait for years to get a membership, and when you do get one, it won’t be cheap. Take a trip inside the highly sought-after club with us as we unpack the truth about Club 33 that will shock even the biggest of Disney fans. What is Club 33? If you ever find yourself near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland California, you’ll see a gray blue door, if you look very carefully. The door is not adorned with the usual extravagant Disney decor, in fact, it only displays a small brass sign that says ‘Club 33’, with a small speaker that allows entrance, to those lucky enough to have a membership or invite. Club 33 was invented by Walt Disney in 1965 so that he could entertain important guests that visited his park and treat them to exclusive cocktails, gourmet food, and swanky decor. The dining club has decadent 1920s New Orleans decor, complete with an original coffee table from the set of Mary Poppins and a huge vulture that was once home to a voice actor that would greet guests. If you are ever lucky enough to gain access, make sure to check out the trophy room, the less formal dining room filled with taxidermy and wood paneling. Walt had designed this room with some very interesting features to entertain guests including microphones in the chandeliers and a sound room with a two-way mirror, allowing its occupant to overhear dining room conversations and converse with guests by speaking through a few of the trophies themselves. Unfortunately though, Walt Disney never got to see the club being completed, and died before it opened to its members in 1967, however, the club is still open today to be enjoyed by the most high-profile guests. How much does it cost to join? Membership fees at this ultra-exclusive club are absolutely astronomic. $25,000 is the standard joining fee for a personal membership, and then members must pay $10,000 a year after that to have use of the club. If you want a corporate membership, it’s $75,000 upfront and $33,000 annually, according to official Disneyland tour guides. Money isn’t the only obstacle for membership either, as some people have allegedly been on a waiting list of around 800 people for years, and some are never successful. Famous members have included Elizabeth Taylor, Christina Aguilera, Elton John, Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, Michael Jackson, and Katy Perry. Once you’re in, the food can get pretty pricey, too. The menu is a set four-courses costing $130 per person, with wine pairings costing $95 per person. How can you get into Club 33? If you want to get into Club 33 but don’t have a membership, you still might be able to gain access. You’ll have to make friends with a member of the club, but members are permitted to bring a small number of guests per year. The other option is to get a job at a company that has a corporate membership at Club 33, such as Chevron, Nestle, and some acting agencies in Hollywood. Why is it called Club 33? The Disney website states that the club got its name from its address: “Club 33, so named after its address, 33 Royal Street, is comprised of two dining rooms and several adjoining areas, all of which hold a wide array of magnificent antiques and original works of art.” However, like with any popular culture secrets, there are some wacky theories as to where the club ‘actually’ got its name. Some claim that the restaurant is named after the original 33 investors in Disneyland, who Walt would entertain in the restaurant. Others have suggested that the name refers to the number of “yay” votes for proceeding with the Club after Walt’s death. Another theory is that sideways the number 33 looks like two M’s, which could stand for Mickey Mouse. This isn’t the only unique dining experience out there: there’s even a McDonald’s restaurant in Rome that features some ancient human remains.

  • What is chicken fried watermelon? Viral food trend explained – Dexerto

What is chicken fried watermelon? Viral food trend explained Twitter: @FearBuckThere’s a new trend going viral, and it involves two things that you probably never would have paired together – ‘fried chicken’ and watermelon. In a Twitter/X post, viewers were taken aback after a man found a bizarre new way to cook watermelon, and it left them with a bad taste in their mouth. Considered one of the most refreshing fruits of the summer season, watermelon reminds us of lazy days spent lounging beside the pool, but what if you deep-fried it? In the video, the man could be seen washing a watermelon, before cutting them into slender slices and skewering them. After this, he whisked an egg into a bowl, and added chicken flour to another. He dipped the watermelon skewers into the egg wash, and proceeded to coat them with the chicken flour. To finish, he deep-fried the watermelon skewers until they were crisp and golden. “Ever tried chicken fried watermelon?” the caption read. After the video was posted, it’s safe to say that people were thoroughly disgusted, with one writing: “Idc what your mouth is saying, this can’t be good and you need to be arrested.” “This is the most American thing I’ve seen all day,” another wrote, while another proclaimed: “ban him from cooking immediately.” Some were utterly confused, asking: “Who in the hell would eat that monstrosity?” Oddly, some were on board with the new watermelon ‘hack,’ writing that the video’s poster was “finally making watermelon appealing.” “I lowkey wanna try,” one admitted, while another said that it “sounds good tho.” This isn’t the only bizarre food trend that’s gone viral this July. A woman shocked social media after putting octopus in her burger at McDonald’s.

  • What is chia seed ‘tadpole water’ on TikTok? Viral food trend explained – Dexerto

What is chia seed ‘tadpole water’ on TikTok? Viral food trend explained TikTokThis DIY TikTok wellness trend has been floating around the internet for some time now, but this time around, it’s going viral as ‘tadpole water’. The trend involves mixing chia seeds and lemon juice into water for an ‘internal shower’ as a way of tackling bloating and other gastrointestinal issues. But where did the trend originate? How do you make it? And most importantly, does it actually work? Where did the viral chia seed water come from? Good Housekeeping states that the drink originated back in 2022: “the reported ‘inventor’ of the so-called health hack: Daryl Gioffre, a certified chiropractor turned nutrition advisor to many celebrities, including Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacreast.” Gioffre may have coined the term ‘internal shower’, but chia seeds have been around for a long time, and are a staple in any wellness foodie’s smoothie or acai bowl. TikTok users claim that this drink works magic internally, by obliterating bloating, putting a stop to constipation, and giving you a flat stomach. These claims are pretty hyped up, and people are posting about how they find ‘tadpole water’ to have a gross texture and taste, but that it actually works. Viral chia seed water recipe The drink is very simple to make, and is designed to be consumed in the morning every day before you eat anything: Add 2 tbsp of chia seeds to a full glass of water, at least 8oz if not 16oz – Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste; up to 1 whole lemon – Optionally add 1/8 tsp of sea salt – Stir and let chia seeds absorb water; after up to 15 minutes, stir once more and drink. – That really is it, and yes, according to the internet, it doesn’t taste very good. People on TikTok are claiming that it really works: “Chia seed lemon water! Add a little bit of salt for electrolytes and for those that wanna get rid of cellulite. Trust me.” However, some people were wary of the texture of tadpole water (the name is pretty fitting to the texture), and suggested taking chia seed shots instead. Others were joking, asking if they could, ‘just add chia seeds to my Diet Coke?’ Does tadpole water actually work? According to TikTok, people who have drank this every day for two weeks end up feeling like they have put their stomach through a detox, however, they state that it’s because they literally can’t stop pooping. On top of this, the drink will make you feel a lot more full than a regular glass of water, so you could be entering into a calorie deficit if you end up skipping breakfast. Amy Fischer, MS, RD, CDN, a registered dietitian states: “Chia seeds are high in fiber, which can help to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) over time, as well as keep blood sugar more stable, promote digestive health, feed good gut bacteria and may aid in weight management,” explains Fischer. “Chia also contains heart-healthy omega-3 fats, protein and is rich in multiple antioxidant and mineral sources.” Generally, health experts have celebrated the benefits of chia seeds, but, drinking this high amount of fiber for a prolonged time can be a shock to your body, especially if you don’t eat a lot of fiber usually. “Chia seeds are very fibrous, and it’s best to increase your fiber intake gradually,” says Amanda Beaver, a Houston dietician. “If you add too much into your diet too fast, it can cause gastrointestinal issues such as bloating, gas, and constipation.” If you still have a craving for some sour water with the texture of a pond, ensure to do your research. As with all viral food trends, it’s important to listen to your body, and do everything in moderation

What is Chick-fil-A’s secret code used to get free breakfast? TikTok: fastfoodsecretsclubChick-fil-A has a secret code that customers can use in order to get a free breakfast. Here are all the details! According to TikToker Kory Alden, Chick-fil-A has a secret code that customers can use to get a free breakfast. Whether you’re in the drive-thru or inside the store, using the code will usually work as long as they have enough leftovers from breakfast to give away. Those who have heard the viral news of Chick-fil-A’s free breakfast have reacted excitedly, as many are eager to try it out. Chick-fil-A customers must order their free breakfast around 10:30 AM In order to get a free Chick-fil-A breakfast, a customer has to say the phrase “breakfast samples.” Not only that, but you must be placing your order around 10:30 AM, as that’s when Chick-fil-A stops selling breakfast. The free “breakfast samples” consist of their iconic chicken biscuits. And in some cases, you don’t even have to spend money to receive their free breakfast. The only reason Chick-fil-A would be able to give away free items is if they have extras leftover after breakfast ends. Also, an employee must be aware of the secret code. Chick-fil-A customers who have heard about their chance to get free chicken biscuits have commented, saying, “I’m doing this tomorrow.” And, “Good hack.” Another even said they had just tried using the secret code and were successful with getting free breakfast. One Chick-fil-A employee also called out Alden for giving away their secret code, saying, “Bro, why? Now all my samples are going to be gone!” Though a perfect world would mean that every Chick-fil-A location partook in the secret code for free breakfast, that is not the case. However, it’s always worth a try!

  • What is boba? All you need to know about bubble tea – Dexerto

What is boba? All you need to know about bubble tea Maddy Kinkead via CanvaWhat actually is boba? This handy guide will tell you all you need to know so that you’ll be a bubble tea expert in no time. Contents What is boba and where does it come from? – How is boba made? – What does boba mean? – What does boba taste like? – Where can I try boba? – What is boba and where does it come from? Boba is the name of the small tapioca pearls you would often find in a bubble tea drink. These drinks are sometimes also called boba tea. They originated in Taiwan and come in lots of different variations. You can get fruit teas with ‘popping boba’ which are essentially tiny balls filled with fruit syrup that go in the drink. The most standard types of bubble tea, however, are milk-based and come with chewy boba pearls that go in the bottom of the drink and are designed to be sucked up the straw along with the beverage. The most common flavor of boba is “brown sugar milk tea” which usually doesn’t actually have any tea in it. It’s generally made of milk, brown sugar syrup, and the chewy tapioca pearls. Tapioca is a common dessert food in East Asia, so these drinks are kind of like a drinkable dessert. How is boba made? Traditional chewy boba balls are made by rolling tapioca starch and boiling water into tiny, doughy balls. These are then added to boiling water and brown sugar and boiled until they are jelly-like. Popping boba, or fruit-flavored boba is made by mixing fruit syrup with a compound that creates a thin skin around the bubbles, meaning that they burst in your mouth when you bite into them. These are a little more difficult to make, but you can find a recipe here if you’re feeling ambitious. You can also buy the stuff in bulk at Walmart. The tea drinks themselves vary, but are usually flavored iced teas or flavored milks with syrup and the boba added, you’ll then get a wide straw to help you drink up all that goodness. What does boba mean? The origins of the word ‘boba’ come from a childish joke. The word boba is actually a slang term for nipples in Taiwanese and although the name originally started as a joke, it has stuck around. No one actually knows who first called the drink this though, but it seems they had a good sense of humor. What does boba taste like? Your first experience with boba may be a strange one, and the texture of these pearls is not to everyone’s taste. The chewy brown sugar tapioca pearls have a treacle-like taste and the same texture as a gummy bear if it was a little chewier. The popping boba has a completely different texture, as it pops in your mouth (hence the name.) These come in many different flavors and are like a burst of juice in your mouth when you bite into them. Where can I try boba? Bubble tea has become a huge success in the US due to its unique texture and Instagram worthy aesthetic. Across the US there are several bubble tea chains, including Tapioca Express which is the oldest chain in the country, and Boba Guys which has stores all across the East and West Coasts. If you don’t live near a bubble tea store, you can order bubble tea kits online which will give you an idea of the process of making the drink, as well as allow you to customize the drinks to your tastes. • What is barbacoa at Chipotle? – Dexerto

What is barbacoa at Chipotle? Chipotle / Kitchen SanctuaryBarbacoa is a popular protein option for burritos and bowls at Chipotle, but it leaves some customers curious as to what barbacoa is and what it’s made of. Barbacoa has been on Chipotle’s menu for around 25 years and can be added as the main protein component of any burrito, bowl, or taco. Although the popular Mexican chain serves barbacoa, the dish has deep roots in Caribbean cuisine and is traditionally cooked in a hole in the ground covered with agave leaves. The best thing is that no matter what protein you choose at Chipotle, the price is always the same, and you can even mix and match with another type of meat. Recently, fans praised Chipotle’s prices after seeing the work that goes into making their meals. However, this tender meat is a popular fan-favorite due to its smoky, spicy, and rich flavors – the perfect pairing for a good dollop of guac and sour cream. Contents: What is barbacoa? – Barbacoa vs Carnitas: What’s the difference? – How to make Chipotle barbacoa at home – What is barbacoa? Chipotle’s website states that their barbacoa is marinated beef shoulder that is cooked three times to make it really succulent. They state, “First, we cook it sous vide, which locks in moisture by heating the beef at a precise, low temperature for a looong time. Then we marinate it overnight and add aromatic spices like oregano, cloves, and bay leaf, then braise it slowly at a low temperature until it’s mouthwateringly tender, then shred it by hand.” Chipotle prides itself on using quality ingredients and lists all of them on its website. They use ’53 real ingredients’ to make up all of their meals, and barbacoa contains quite a lot of their signature ingredients to give it a rich, umami flavor. Barbacoa traditionally could be made of cooked beef or sheep. A lot of Mexican cuisine uses beef cheek, however, at Chipotle they use beef shoulder. They state that this is because this is a cut of meat that keeps its moisture in well throughout the long cooking process and ensures that the meat is never dry. Barbacoa vs Carnitas at Chipotle: What’s the difference? Both carnitas and barbacoa are delicious options for your burrito bowl (as long as you’re not a vegan!), and both are slow-braised, but barbacoa is beef and carnitas is pork. Carnitas is like a Mexican-inspired pulled pork. It’s cooked with juniper berries, thyme, orange peel, and bay leaves, and has a sweet, smoky flavor. It is cooked similarly to barbacoa as its flavor comes from being slow-cooked in spices. Barbacoa’s slow-cooked beef is marinated in chili peppers, oregano, thyme, and bay leaves. Its flavor is less sweet and more spicy. Both these meats retain a nice smoky flavor that goes well with the tanginess associated with salsas, sour cream, and guacamole. How to make Chipotle barbacoa at home Has reading all that about barbacoa made you hungry? Have no fear, because you can cook it at home. The great thing about this slow-cooked meat is that yes, it does take a good few ingredients to make, but it keeps well and can be adapted to make lots of meals. It also freezes well, so stock up! What you’ll need: 3 lb beef brisket or chuck roast (trimmed and cut into 2-inch chunks) – 1/2 cup beef broth – 2 medium chipotle chiles in adobo (including the sauce, about 4 tsp) – 5 cloves garlic (minced or coarsely chopped) – 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp lime juice – 1 tbsp dried oregano – 2 tsp cumin – 2 tsp salt – 1 tsp black pepper – 1/2 tsp ground cloves – 2 whole bay leaves – Method: Combine everything except the beef in a blender and puree until smooth. It should have the consistency of a pasta sauce, if is is too thick, add some boiling water. – Place the beef chunks in a slow cooker. Pour the pureed mixture from the blender on top. Add the (whole) bay leaves. If you don’t have a slow cooker, cook on low heat in the oven. – Cook for 4-6 hours on high or 8-10 hours on low, until the beef is fall-apart tender. Basically, when the meat is falling apart on the inside, but crispy on the outside, you’ll know it’s ready. – Remove the bay leaves. Shred the meat using two forks and stir into the juices. Cover and rest for 5-10 minutes. This is a really important step as it allows the beef to marinate more in the sauce and get acquainted with those rich flavors. – Serve whatever way you like. On a burrito with rice, fresh guacamole, salsa verde, sour cream, and cheese is a great way to eat this smoky meat. – If this made you crave Chipotle, check out our other guides on the Chipotle secret menu, or how to use a hack to get more food to the same price.

  • What is Beverly soda? Viral Coca-Cola drink & where to get it – Dexerto

What is Beverly soda? Viral Coca-Cola drink & where to get it Coca-ColaThis discontinued Coca-Cola soda is going viral for its ‘unique’ flavor, and here’s how you can try it for yourself. Beverly soda was first introduced in the 1960s as an attempt for Coca-Cola to get into the Italian drinks market. In Europe, people will often drink an aperitif before a meal to get their appetite ready for food and to help aid digestion. This is a great excuse to have a shot before dinner (like vermouth), but there are also some non-alcoholic options available. To tap into this market, Coca-Cola invented Beverly in the 1960s, which was then discontinued in 2009. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t try it out. Since then, Beverly soda has gone viral on TikTok as people trick their friends and family members into trying it and telling them it’s the “best flavor”: Although some people like it on the first try, according to food blogger @jordan_the_stallion8, there was reportedly a study that took place where they asked thousands of people to try the drink and only 2% of people could drink it without grimacing due to the extremely bitter taste. Where to try Beverly soda If you want to make your own mind up about this drink though, you’ll need to travel — and it’s extremely limited. Disney Epcot in Florida has a Coca-Cola Club Cool where soda fans can try Coca-Cola drinks from around the world, including Royal Wattamelon from the Phillippines, Minute Maid Apple Lychee from South Korea, and the infamous Beverly from Italy. You can also get a taste of the stuff at official Coca-Cola museums, and Disney Springs’ Coca-Cola store. The best bit is, Beverly (as well as all the other sodas from around the world) is completely free of charge and unlimited – but you’ll only get a sample-size cup. What does Beverly soda taste like? The flavor of this drink is highly debated, and Coca-Cola themselves have never revealed the flavor profile behind the beverage. It was marketed in 1971 with the slogan, “Cold as Helsinki, sparkling as Rio, dry as El Paso.” And although this makes it sound pretty refreshing, people online have different ideas about what it tastes like. Some claim that it just tastes like Campari and that it derives its flavor from grapefruit rinds, which gives it the bitter taste that some people don’t like. On TikTok though, people don’t think of it as favorably, with one person commenting, “If you’ve ever accidentally ingested pool water, you’ve tasted Beverly.” Somebody who tried it even gave the bizarre description that it, “tasted like a Nintendo cartridge.” Everyone has a different opinion on how this notorious drink tastes. People on TikTok who have yet to try it are frustrated by the lack of descriptors of the drink, with some saying, “Bitter like vinegar, or salt, or spices? What does bitter mean? What does it actually taste like?” It looks like the only way to find out is to travel to one of the three locations where its sold and decide for yourself. Remember to record yourself drinking it to see if you make a face due to its bitterness.

  • What is a scoby? The crazy kombucha ingredient putting people off the drinks – Dexerto

What is a scoby? The crazy kombucha ingredient putting people off the drinks TikTokThe ‘scoby’ is the secret ingredient that turns tea into kombucha, and when you see one, you’ll want to reconsider drinking kombucha ever again. A viral TikTok posted on May 11, 2023 has gained over three million views in three days, and had viewers going down endless rabbit holes about what a scoby actually is. If you’re a kombucha lover, you’ll know this health drink has a bit of a cult following, but you won’t believe what the process of making it looks like. What is a scoby? “Scoby” stands for “symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.” And although this may sound like a boring scientific term, this thing looks like a giant alien jellyfish. This things are also sometimes called a ‘mother’ which may or may not be connected to the fact it looks like a placenta… The scoby discussion has been fueled by this crazy TikTok: This TikTok shows a member of staff who works in a kombucha factory, pulling a scoby out of a huge vat. People in the comments were horrified at this thing, with someone commenting, “I absolutely thought that scoby was raw chicken.” And another saying, “Is that not an octopus?” People were even noting that it literally looks like human flesh. Much like sourdough bread needs a ‘starter’ made from yeast, kombucha, hard seltzers, ciders, and other home brews need a scoby for part of the fermentation process. People on TikTok were equally grossed out and amazed by this thing, and many were going down rabbit holes learning about this crazy ingredient. Have no fear, you’ll be a scoby expert by the time you’re done here. How is a scoby made? Scobys can be bought online, and some home brewers even share them among friends like a friendship bracelet for organic homemade drinks. Whatever way you accquire your scoby, this opaque, rubbery mass is unsettlingly like a big piece of human flesh that you put in iced tea to turn it into kombucha. To make one of your own, take a store-bought bottle of kombucha and add the last quarter of it (the bit with all the gunk at the bottom of the bottle) and add it to your iced-tea of choice. Ensure your iced-tea is sweetened with a cup of granulated white sugar, as this is what ferments and gives the kombucha its signature fizziness and tanginess. Leave this concoction for 1-4 weeks and your scoby will be born. The idea is to use your scoby over and over again until it becomes like a really weird pet that you keep in your home. What is kombucha? Kombucha is just fermented iced tea, and is meant to be good for your digestive health. It’s something that you’d find in Trader Joes, and something that many organic food-heads are very passionate about. It’s been around for centuries and many swear by its health benefits, but it has become very popular in recent years with the kind of people who like to get up at 6am to do yoga. It’s become so popular in fact, that PepsiCola bought its own kombucha company in 2016. Even avid kombucha drinkers were shocked to find out that one of these scobys will have lived in their favorite drink, with people vowing that they would never drink kombucha again. Among the dozens of people saying that these TikToks ‘ruined kombucha’ for them, as well as some saying the fact that anyone would drink kombucha is insane – some people had a different outlook: “The people watching this and saying they are never drinking kombucha are the same people who go and eat those mystery meat nuggets from McDonald’s,” one person noted. Although kombucha is definitely lower in calories than McDonald’s nuggets, there is definitely no mystery meat involved. McDonald’s nuggets are made from 100% chicken – which is kind of what a scoby looks like anyway.

  • What is a ‘scallion latte’ on TikTok? Bizarre coffee trend explained – Dexerto

What is a ‘scallion latte’ on TikTok? Bizarre coffee trend explained TIKTOK: w_homecafe, goldenbrown.coffeeTikTok users are adding an unexpected vegetable to their coffee as part of the bizarre ‘scallion latte’ trend, which is sparking mixed reactions. The culinary world is no stranger to unconventional pairings that push the boundaries of traditional flavors, and the latest trend to take over TikTok is no exception. Known as the ‘scallion latte,’ the recipe is stirring up both curiosity and controversy among coffee lovers on the app, as it includes an unexpected vegetable ingredient. What is the ‘scallion latte’ trend on TikTok? The scallion latte trend sees people adding fresh spring onions on top of their coffee to provide a crunchy texture to the drink. This textural addition contrasts with the smoothness of the latte, creating a multisensory drinking experience. Moreover, the sharpness and slight sweetness of the onions are said to balance the bitterness of the coffee, offering a unique flavor profile that challenges conventional coffee norms. This trend is believed to have first emerged in China. From there, the scallion latte caught the attention of TikTok users globally, prompting many to experiment with this unusual ingredient in their morning coffee. In a viral video from Golden Brown Coffee (goldenbrown.coffee), a roaster based in Australia, he showed a step-by-step tutorial on how to prepare a scallion latte. “This is a viral drink that came straight out of China. So, of course, yours truly has to taste it,” the TikToker said. “Start by chipping just the green parts of fresh spring onion. Then just make an iced latte how you would with ice, milk and of course, some espresso. Then we have to heavily garnish our drink with spring onion.” After sampling the drink, the roaster shared his candid reaction: “I can’t even fake any redeeming qualities. That is horrific. Coffee down!” TikTok users also took to the comments to share their thoughts on the quirky coffee trend. “Well I love green onions but this is too much,” one person wrote. “What I’d do to show my love to green onions,” another quipped. “I thought that this was a gag!” a third commented, to which the content creator replied: “I gagged.” This is just the latest food trend to take off on TikTok, after the cottage cheese baking hack went viral in May.

The not-so-secret menu item you’ve never heard of McDonald’sA viral TikTok posted by a McDonald’s employee has sparked an entire conversation surrounding a menu item that has been around for a while, but you’ve probably never heard of – the cookie tote. The video, posted by McDonald’s employee @lilyjussreall shows her and another colleague doing a skit in which she pretends to be a customer ordering a ‘cookie tote’, the employee then starts shaking her head and acting like this is the worst news she has ever heard. Although it’s clear that some McDonald’s employees aren’t happy about preparing orders of cookie totes, most of the internet was just confused about what it actually is. What is a cookie tote from McDonald’s? According to their website, McDonald’s has been selling a cookies tote for some time. This is a cardboard box with a handle, that customers can purchase with 13 cookies inside. This McCafe item’s price varies depending on the store, but is sold for between $3.99 to $6.89. Although you may not see this item on drive-thru menu screens, it is very much an available menu item. McDonald’s in the US only sells chocolate chip cookies, but these cost $1.89 for two cookies at most locations, so if each cookie in the cookie tote was charged separately, it would cost you around $12 – so you’re really getting a bargain. On top of this, the cookies come warmed in the oven. Yum. Why do McDonald’s staff hate making the cookie tote? It’s not just the original TikToker that showed some disdain toward this menu item, in fact, a customer who went to McDonald’s said they had tried to order a cookie tote once and the employee literally said “no”. Someone else who appears to work at McDonald’s commented on the video saying: “So real. The annoyance in my voice as I turn off my headset and yell COOKIE TOTE.” Another person echoed this: “I get too shy to ask the kitchen for a cookie tote ’cause they get mad, I always have my manager tell them for me.” One kitchen worker made a video showing how they prepare the cookie totes, and it does involve a few steps. It seems that the process involves building the tote bag, counting out the cookies, heating them all up, and scooping them individually into the container. With the fast-paced nature of a McDonald’s kitchen, these rarely ordered items could cause annoyance to staff. On top of this, a member of staff in the comments mentioned that McDonald’s stores don’t always have a large number of cookies ready because they aren’t a popular order, so if someone orders one of these totes, they may have to bake 13 cookies from scratch. McDonald’s has been bringing out some brand new dessert items recently as well, like the granny-inspired McFlurry that was just launched.

What is a “frozen salad” on TikTok? Viral food trend explained TikTok: eitanA TikTok foodie shocked the internet with his “frozen salad” food creation, but he’s asking viewers not to knock it ‘til they try it. TikTok’s corner for food showcases some of the newest recipes that are sometimes not so traditional. From the now-iconic “crookie” to the viral Lipton iced tea and Sprite drink, the unique concoctions are seemingly endless. One of the latest recipes that has gone viral is the “frozen salad.” Similar to granita, which is a sweet, semi-frozen dish, the frozen salad features shaved vegetables that have been stocked away in the freezer in preparation for the meal. In hopes of making a refreshing summer dish, TikTok foodie Eitan Bernath decided to take frozen tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions and shave them into a dish with a cheese grater. He then added olive oil, lemon juice, and black ground pepper and finished with a spoonful to the face. “Shaved frozen cucumber tomato salad might sound absolutely insane, but it turned out to be a delicious savory granita. Don’t knock it ‘till you try it,” he captioned his TikTok. Those in the comments thought this creation was brilliant, with plant-based food company Morning-Star Farms telling him that he might have just started the next new trend. “I believe you just started a frozen salad trend,” they said. Others in the comments shared that they were eager to try the frozen salad. “I love how we’re rediscovering our love of vegetables,” said one. “I wanna try,” added another. “I’m intrigued,” a third commented. Some viewers even suggested alterations to Bernath’s new dish, saying he should freeze the lemon before squeezing it, or add some form of cheese like mozzarella or burrata. However, some were skeptical about trying the savory granita. “Idk about this,” quipped one. “Ok now we’re doing too much,” another said. While the frozen salad might have surprised TikTokers, it’s not the only unique food trend to go viral. In July, the “girl dinner” became a popular term. The meal consists of an assortment of snacks or a charcuterie board.

Adding herbs and spices to your butter candle will make it even tastier Garnering 7.7 million views on TikTok, the “butter candle” trend has people trading in their store-bought apps for a simple yet delectable option. To make the assembly process of the butter candle as easy as possible, TikToker Feel Good Foodie uploaded an explainer video on how to make your next “fun party appetizer.” First, Feel Good Foodie, who has 1.9 million followers, used a paper cup as an outline to cut a circle into the middle of a bread bowl. She then hollowed out the center of the bread bowl and cut slices for people to pull apart and dip into the butter after it was all finished. After that, Feel Good Foodie used another cup and melted butter into it. She placed the wick inside and then froze the melted butter for an hour. She then ripped the paper cup apart from the frozen butter, which at that point, resembled an off-white candle. The butter candle was then placed in the middle of the bread bowl before it was lit. Once lit, the butter began to melt. To make the butter candle even tastier, adding herbs and spices is recommended. However, Feel Good Foodie used a rosemary salt butter that was already prepared as such. Those who have seen the viral butter candle have commented saying that the idea was both “creative” and “genius.” Others even mentioned that they’d be making the butter candle for their next holiday party — as long as no one double-dips.

He walked into the building, and told the woman in question: “I delivered food here yesterday from Chipotle, and you put down that I didn’t deliver it to you.” The delivery driver claimed that he’d gotten fired as a result, and even called the woman in question a “thief” to her boss. What happened at controversial Taco Bell Christmas party? Sex and vomit lawsuit Wikimedia CommonsTaco Bell is facing a lawsuit after a branch was accused of partaking in a sex party fuelled by alcohol. Taco Bell is facing a lawsuit after a complaint was issued against a branch in December 2022 by former employee Alana Bechiom. She claimed that she was invited to the Christmas party by her supervisor, Lidia Ruiz, at the San Pedro Taco Bell in Colorado. According to the woman, they were encouraged to bring along food items in a potluck-style buffet. However, upon arriving, the complaint issued by Bechiom read: “(she) discovered that Ruiz covered the windows of the restaurant with wrapping paper” and “also covered the cameras for the lobby in the inside of the restaurant.” Taco Bell employee “shocked, disgusted, and outraged” by controversial party Bechiom then said that when she walked back into the restaurant after stepping outside for a moment, she walked back in and saw a co-worker “having sex with his wife in front of everyone at the party.” The ex-Taco Bell employee alleges that the group was “overserved” alcohol, and was under the influence. She goes on to say that the man’s wife was “kissing both Ruiz and another co-worker.” Apparently, Bechiom says that when she went to pick up her guacamole bowl and leave, she saw people throwing up in it. After Bechiom alleges this happened, she filed a report with human resources, and her co-workers were promptly fired. Taco Bell has yet to publicly comment on Bechiom’s allegations.

  • Is Chick-fil-A chicken different now? Customers convinced recipe ‘changed’ – Dexerto

Is Chick-fil-A chicken different now? Customers convinced recipe ‘changed’ Chick-fil-ATikTok users recently showed off their detective skills after discussions that Chick-fil-A had changed their chicken recipe. A TikTok user made a video in April 2024, that now has over 6 million views, showing her throwing her Chick-fil-A meal in the garbage with the caption, “Me after Chick-fil-A changed their chicken.” This video sparked a conversation amongst chicken fans, with them feeling that Chick-fil-A was different now, and that they had dropped their standards as of late. That being said, Chick-fil-A is still the most popular fast food chain amongst Gen Z, with chicken-based meals being the big hitters of 2024. But, is Chick-fil-A’s chicken really different? People in the comments were going off about the quality of their chicken, with one person saying: “That’s why my last sandwich was a weird texture?! I thought it was just a one-off thing.” According to the comments under this TikTok, the main complaints about Chick-fil-A’s new chicken is that it is too chewy and stringy and that it has a different taste; with some saying it “tastes too much like chicken.” Did Chick-fil-A really change their chicken? Yes, Chick-fil-A did recently make changes to their chicken. According to their website, from Spring 2024, “Chick-fil-A will shift from No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) to No Antibiotics Important To Human Medicine (NAIHM).” This means that until now, they used meat from chickens that had never been treated with antibiotics, now, they do use antibiotics, just not those that are important to humans. Research shows that chickens are treated with antibiotics to make them grow bigger, at a faster rate so that meat production can be sped up. However, experts have found that some chicken meat grown in this way becomes stringy due to muscle fibers not forming properly. This is ‘fondly’ referred to as, ‘spaghetti meat.’ Although Chick-fil-A did not put an exact date on this change, the timeline suggests that these changes have officially rolled out, and people seem to be able to taste the difference. Chick-fil-A has made it clear that high-quality food is at the center of their business, and states that their commitment to this is rooted in three simple things. They are, “selective about the chicken we serve, maintaining high animal wellbeing standards, and continuing to evaluate our approach.” Chick-fil-A is yet to comment on the customer backlash about their chicken changes. That being said, Chick-fil-A’s chicken nuggets did rank pretty well on our definitive ranking of the best chicken nuggets.

  • What are KFC’s 11 herbs and spices? Top secret fried chicken recipe revealed – Dexerto

What are KFC’s 11 herbs and spices? Top secret fried chicken recipe revealed KFCKFC’s 11 herbs and spices are one of America’s best-kept secrets. They’re so sacred to the fast food chain, that their fried chicken recipe is kept in a vault in KFC headquarters. But what are KFC’s 11 herbs and spices? And how can you make your fried chicken taste exactly like the Colonel’s? We’re here to give you the lowdown, as well as the all-important recipe for that top-secret chicken. What are KFC’s 11 herbs and spices? KFC’s 11 secret herbs and spices refer to whatever they mix into their fried chicken coating to make it taste so delicious. According to Joe Ledington, Harland Sanders’ own nephew, the 11 herbs and spices are as follows: Mix the following spices with two cups of white flour: 2/3 teaspoons of salt – 1/2 teaspoons of thyme – 1/2 teaspoons of basil – 1/3 teaspoons of oregano – 1 teaspoon of celery salt – 1 teaspoon of black pepper – 1 teaspoon of dried mustard – 4 teaspoons of paprika – 2 teaspoons of garlic salt – 1 teaspoon of ground ginger – 3 teaspoons of white pepper – How were the KFC 11 herbs and spices leaked? In 2016, Mr Ledington was interviewed by the Chicago Tribune as part of a feature on the Harland Sanders Cafe & Museum. The reporter, Jay Jones, stated: “Before I can even open my notebook, he draws my attention to the photo album overstuffed with pictures, newspaper clippings, and various family documents.” The photo album, which Jones described as a nondescript one that could be bought at Walmart, contained Ledington’s Aunt Claudia’s last will and testament. The last will itself is not what was of interest though, what was of interest is that the Colonel’s sister had written the recipe for KFC’s chicken on the back of the page. When asked, Ledington confirmed that these were the 11 secret herbs and spices, before back-pedaling a bit when he was asked to do a follow-up interview with the editor of the newspaper. During the damage control phase of this entire saga, a KFC spokesperson told The New York Times: “Many people have made these claims over the years and no one has been accurate — this one isn’t either.” The Chicago Tribune then tried to test the recipe and see if it tasted like KFC and concluded that, “it came very close, yet something was still missing.” It was soon discovered that an added tablespoon of MSG did the trick. According to the Colonel himself, what made KFC’s fried chicken so popular in the 50s was the addition of white pepper, which features heavily in the recipe and wasn’t commonly used at the time. White pepper has a more subtle heat than black pepper and has notes of ginger and lemon that go great with fried chicken. Copycat KFC fried chicken recipe Now you know the story behind the alleged 11 secret herbs and spices, why not try making KFC fried chicken to see if yours is really as good as The Colonel’s? Ingredients: 1 cup buttermilk – 1 egg, beaten – 1 chicken, cut up into eight pieces – Neutral oil for frying, like canola or peanut oil – MSG seasoning, like Ajinomoto or Accent – 2/3 teaspoons of salt – 1/2 teaspoons of thyme – 1/2 teaspoons of basil – 1/3 teaspoons of oregano – 1 teaspoon of celery salt – 1 teaspoon of black pepper – 1 teaspoon of dried mustard – 4 teaspoons of paprika – 2 teaspoons of garlic salt – 1 teaspoon of ground ginger – 3 teaspoons of white pepper – Method: In a large bowl, combine the flour with the herbs and spices and set aside. – Meanwhile, in another large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg, mixing until they’re well combined. – Add the chicken to the buttermilk bowl and toss to coat. Cover the bowl lightly with plastic wrap or a lid and let it sit for 30 minutes, or as long as overnight. If marinade times exceed 30 minutes, place the bowl in the refrigerator. – Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set an oven-safe wire cooling rack inside the sheet and set aside. – In a large Dutch oven, heat about 3 inches of oil. If you’re using an electric tabletop fryer, fill the unit to its MAX line. – Preheat the oil to 350 degrees over medium-high heat, using a deep-frying thermometer to check the temperature. When the oil reaches 350 degrees, reduce the heat to medium-low. – Remove a chicken piece from the buttermilk, allowing any excess liquid to drip off. Place the piece in the flour mixture and press down firmly, allowing the flour to adhere on all sides. Shake off any excess flour and carefully drop the chicken into the hot oil. Continue dredging chicken until the fryer is full but not overcrowded; you should be able to fry three to four pieces at a time. – Cook the chicken for about 12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the crust turns an appealing golden brown color. – Transfer the chicken pieces to the prepared baking sheet and place it in the oven. – Allow the oil to return to temperature before adding more chicken. Repeat the dredging and frying process with the remaining pieces of chicken. – When all the chicken is fried, let the pieces sit in the oven until each reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. – Sprinkle each piece of chicken with a few shakes of MSG before serving. If you’re unsure about food additives like MSG, feel free to skip the extra seasoning. – Although KFC has denied any recipe that has surfaced throughout the years claiming to be the correct one, this one was leaked by someone in the family and tastes exactly like what you would find in your bargain bucket. If you still don’t want to cook, have no fear, as KFC has just launched exclusive chicken tenders.

  • What are the coffee sizes at Starbucks? Tall, Grande, Venti & more explained – Dexerto

What are the coffee sizes at Starbucks? Tall, Grande, Venti & more explained Pexels.com – Adrianna CalvoYou may have been drinking Starbucks for a long time, but do you have any idea how much each of the coffee sizes contains? Have you ever wondered why Starbucks coffee deviates from the standard small, medium, and large sizes most chains utilize? Instead, they’re made up of names that are taken from other languages. This all began in 1971, when Howard Schultz, chairman, and chief executive of Starbucks, traveled to Italy and came to admire the language used by the baristas there. This is how macchiato, latte, and grande came to be. But how much coffee do each of the sizes contain, and are they used for different beverages? We’ve got the lowdown right here. What are the Starbucks sizes? Demi If you’ve ever ordered an espresso shot from the chain, this is the cup it would have been served in. It holds up to 3 oz and carries either a single or a double espresso. It comes from the French word ‘demitasse,’ which actually translates to half cup. Short Many think that the ‘Tall’ cup is actually the smallest size at Starbucks, but this isn’t the case, as you can actually order a short. This cup is used primarily for hot drinks and can carry up to 8 oz of coffee. If you were to order a short drink at Starbucks, only one shot of espresso would be added. Tall Weighing in at 12 oz, many of us are familiar with the ‘Tall’ size at Starbucks, which is a popular option when you’re just looking for a quick fix. This one can carry both hot and cold drinks and can contain up to two shots of espresso, if you choose to order an Americano or a shaken espresso. Grande Grande translated from the Italian equates to ‘large,’ and can contain up to 16 oz of coffee. Despite this, many consider the Grande to be the go-to medium size offered by the chain. This one contains two shots of espresso, but when ordering Americano or shaken espresso, it will have one extra shot, giving you a total of three. Venti Venti, which means ‘20’ in Italian, can hold 20 oz of hot drinks and 24 oz of cold drinks. In terms of standard sizing, this one would be considered large. Hot drinks served in this cup will contain the same as a grande – two shots. However, if you order a cold drink, it would have a total of three shots The idea is to leave some extra room, so that customers can customize their order with items such as syrups. Trenta Finally, we have the Trenta, which is by far the biggest size that you can order at Starbucks. This cup can carry a whopping 31 oz of coffee and is exclusively for cold beverages. This one is only available in US Starbucks stores and isn’t sold in many countries.

Wendy’s worker sparks outrage after revealing how “fresh” fries can be faked TikTok: @izshaquan101A Wendy’s staff member has revealed that when customers order fresh fries, they might not be getting exactly what they ordered, sparking a huge outrage on the platform. In a video that’s amassed over 4 million views on TikTok, a Wendy’s worker took to the platform to share a secret that customers might not be aware of. The text overlay reads, “My fries are cold I want fresh fries,” as per the customer’s request. However, as we can see from the video, the customer isn’t actually granted their fresh fries. Instead, Shaquan takes the customer’s cold fries from the drive-thru window, before placing them directly back into the hot oil to warm them up, before repackaging them and handing them back. People outraged by Wendy’s fake fries The video caused a stir on the platform, with many disappointed to learn how their fries could actually be prepared like this. “But was it so hard to do that the first time?” one asked the poster, commenting on the laziness of the reheating process. “Nah I said FRESH…” another demanded. “And that’s why I go in to watch them and make sure the old fries aren’t in the warmer and tell them to get old fries off the corners,” another commenter added. Some suggested a method for ensuring fresh fries each time, simply by ordering them with no salt: “And that’s why I ask for no salt then ask for salt packs,” suggesting that the workers must make a separate, fresh, saltless batch. Ordering ‘fresh’ fries without salt has been the subject of controversy for a while. A McDonald’s worker had enough of people demanding saltless fries, and took to TikTok to voice her opinion.

  • Wendy’s reveals all new White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty – Dexerto

Wendy’s reveals all new White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty TikTok: @monaliisa314Wendy’s have announced the release of their all-new White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty, but it’s not that easy to get. The Wendy’s Frostys are a staple of the chain’s menu, and are beloved by many fast food fans. Most recently, they debuted their Orange Dreamsicle Frosty, which takes a spin on the classic creaminess of the vanilla flavor, but packs a punch with its sweet orange notes. Now, they’ve announced the release of their White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty, but you might need to take a road trip to grab one, as they’re only being released in Canada. The White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty has the same vanilla base, but has a delectable strawberry puree swirl and is topped with plenty of white chocolate shavings. A TikToker from Canada got there early and gave her review of the new item. She said that although the base tasted great, the chocolate on top wasn’t really working. “It tastes good! Honestly, it tastes like a strawberry sundae. The white chocolate shavings taste like crayons though,” she said. Fans in the US were not put off though, and felt super jealous of the new item, writing: “Omg. We NEED this in the US!” Another on Reddit lamented, “This looks amazing, the US always misses out on all the really cool releases.” Another item is going viral, as McDonald’s India announced that they’d be collabing with Lotus Biscoff to deliver a new drink and McFlurry.

  • Wendy’s release Mango Crumble Frosty ready for summer – Dexerto

Wendy’s release Mango Crumble Frosty ready for summer Wendy’sWendy’s has another creative release ready for customers to indulge in during the summertime – but it won’t be easy to get, depending on where you are. Wendy’s is known for their creative frosty flavors. Back in April, it released its White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty, complete with a vanilla base, a delectable strawberry puree swirl, and topped with white chocolate shavings. Then later that same month, they brought out the super creative Spicy Mango Tajin Frosty. This beverage was essentially a vanilla Frosty with Mango puree drizzled around the cup, then sprinkled with Tajin to give it a chili lime kick. Now Wendy’s has a Mango Crumble Frosty and it sounds divine. The only trouble is that these three beverages have one irksome thing in common – they’re all international-only and aren’t available in the US. The Strawberry Frosty was sold in Canada, then the Spicy Mango Tajin Frosty was sold in the Bahamas, and now, the Mango Crumble Frosty is only available in Trinidad and Tobago. This means you’ll probably need to hop on a flight if you want to try this tropical-flavored Frosty, but who would judge? It sounds delicious. It features a Vanilla Frosty topped with Mango sauce, complete with a cookie crumble on top to add some extra texture and flavor. After popular food blogger, Snackolator shared an image of the Mango Crumble Frosty on social media, people were dying to try it, writing: “This needs to be brought to the US ASAP.” One even tagged Wendy’s, begging the fast food giant to bring it to US stores. Another suggested that the beverage would “pair well with the tajin fries.” Whether or not the new drink does make its way to US menus, there’s plenty for Wendy’s customers to get excited about, as the chain announced that it’s releasing a brand new breakfast item, along with a massive 50-piece chicken nugget share box.

Some, however, weren’t convinced, writing: “I can’t lie those eggs are striking fear in my heart.” “This looks like trash!” another stated boldly. • Wendy’s release brand new Saucy Nuggets but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Wendy’s release brand new Saucy Nuggets but there’s a catch Wendy’sWendy’s have announced a brand new product, which is sure to be in high demand: Saucy Nuggets. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a catch that will leave many Wendy’s fans disappointed. Wendy’s are renowned for their Classic Chicken Sandwiches. Tried and tested, it’s something that the brand gets right every single time. It’s not often that the fast food chain branches out, and releases experimental items on their menu, but that’s just what they’ve decided to do this December. Wendy’s announced that they’ll be bringing out ‘Saucy Nuggets,’ but they are only being tested in select locations in Ohio. These nuggets are sauced like chicken wings by placing them in a container, then shaking them up to get a nice coating. You can choose from four different sauces: Honey BBQ, Buffalo, Ghost Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan. People dying to try Wendy’s new Saucy Nuggets After the announcement was posted on social media, people were quick to comment on the brand’s new release. Many were excited that Saucy Nuggets might be a thing, with one saying: “They had something similar to this like over a decade ago and it was dope.” “They literally used to this — called them bites? Boneless wings, maybe? — and I still miss the Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken ones,” another reminisced. However, some thought the release was a cop-out, and that Wendy’s were trying to emulate Popeye’s: “Oh – I see they’re trying to be like Popeyes now but with nuggets.” “Seems similar to the flavors Popeyes is using for wings,” another concurred. As we mentioned briefly above, Saucy Nuggets are still very much in the test phase, and are not widely available for customers to purchase yet. In other food news, Taco Bell are testing their new Churros Chillers & Coffee Chillers.

Wendy’s release ‘Frosty Frights’ toys and TikTok is obsessed TikTok: @walruscarpWendy’s is bringing some Halloween-themed nostalgia this spooky season, releasing their Frosty Frights Kids’ meal toys that have TikTok feeling nostalgic. The Halloween fast food releases are already rushing in, with the release of brand new Halloween Buckets from both Dunkin’ and McDonald’s. The Halloween Munchkins Bucket from Dunkin’ holds 50 Munchkins (miniature donuts) and drops on October 16. It features a rich purple color, complete with a Dunkin’ logo and an array of Halloween-themed characters adorning the surface. As well as this, McDonald’s are also bringing back their legendary Boo Buckets this year, featuring four new colors and characters. However, some fans were disappointed by the new handle design, which was modeled after the chain’s golden arches, rather than simply matching the color of each bucket. There’s one Halloween release this year, however, that’s blown customers away, and it comes from Wendy’s. The brand has brought out a series of new kids’ meal toys called ‘Frosty Frights,’ featuring collectible toys that turn the iconic Wendy’s Frosty into a Halloween-themed character. Each comes with a sticker pack to seal the deal. Some of the new designs include: Coolie Ghoulie – Cold Spell – Franken Frosty – BRRR Beast – Frosty Bite – Junior – TikTok users were enthralled by the new toys, heading over to their local Wendy’s to grab themselves a kiddie meal. One man claimed this was his first time visiting the fast food chain in a decade, determined to snag one of the collectibles. He managed to snag ‘Frosty Bite,’ modeled after a vampire, complete with fangs and bat wings. He was clearly impressed, telling Wendy’s that they’d just made a “fan for life.” Commenters were equally obsessed, with one asking: “Why do I want these so badly?” “I got the Franken Frosty yesterday,” another shared, sharing that it was “so cute.” “I had to get my grandson the whole set and myself a purple witch. They are adorable,” one wrote. The Frosty Frights are currently on sale nationwide across the US while supplies last. This isn’t the first time Wendy’s has gone viral for their kids’ meal toys. Back in June, adults everywhere were losing it after Wendy’s released the “perfect” collectible.

  • Wendy’s manager goes viral for creating “fake employee” to pocket $20K – Dexerto

Wendy’s manager goes viral for creating “fake employee” to pocket $20K Wikimedia Commons: Jed De La CruzReports claim a manager at a Pennsylvania Wendy’s location managed to pocket around $20,000 after allegedly creating a “fake employee” and taking their ‘wages.’ A bevy of wild fast food fiascos have gone viral over the years, but one particular situation that went down at a Pennsylvania Wendy’s is raising eyebrows across the internet. In 2023, it was discovered that a Wendy’s manager in Lancaster County, PA had racked up nearly $20,000 after creating a “fake employee” at the popular chain and taking their wages. The manager, Linda Johnson, clocked in as the ‘ghost employee’ for a reported total of 128 shifts, earning $19,898.15 from July 2021 through April 2022. Wendy’s manager goes viral for making $20K off “fake employee” As told by police documents, an insurance company claimed the location lost $15,000 from the manager’s theft. Police interrogated other employees at the Wendy’s location about the ‘ghost worker’; some said they didn’t remember ever working with them, while one allegedly met the employee and said they even had a timecard. During a conversation with police, Johnson admitted to making the employee up, saying she set up their paychecks to deposit in her Cashapp account. Thanks to her unconventional methods, Johnson might have made around $20K — but she also faces a charge for felony theft. Despite the charges, Johnson’s case is earning some impressed reactions online nearly a year later as the story goes viral on Twitter/X. “I’m not gonna lie, this is smart as hell,” one user admitted. “You can’t even be mad at her. 128 shifts without anyone noticing this ‘new employee’ is insane LMAO.” “I respect the hustle,” another commented. Others wondered if Johnson didn’t have the help of other staffers, with one writing, “She wasn’t doing it alone, she must have been sharing the benefits with other staff.” She wasn’t doing it alone, she must have been sharing the benefits with other staffs — Mo_ Gives Ⓜ️ (@Mompha_Gives) March 15, 2024 This is just the latest crime-related fast food story to take over social media after a McDonald’s worker was fired after getting arrested mid-shift for violating their probation.

  • Wendy’s launch spicy Frosty with Tajin but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Wendy’s launch spicy Frosty with Tajin but there’s a catch Wendy’sWendy’s has unveiled a brand new Spicy Mango Tajin Frosty, but you’ll have to save for a flight to The Bahamas to try it. Wendy’s is known for its signature Frosty drinks around the world, with the standard Chocolate and Vanilla ones being available year-round. That being said, Wendy’s often launches limited edition flavors inspired by a country’s cuisine, just like the Orange Dreamsicle one they had for a short time in the US. Now, in The Bahamas, Wendy’s has launched a Mango Tajin Frosty. This drink is essentially a vanilla Frosty with Mango puree drizzled around the cup and on top of the drink. To make it even more special though, it is then sprinkled with Tajin to give it a chili lime kick. Although the price of this new Frosty has not yet been released on the Wendy’s website, the price of a large Frosty in the US is priced at $2.29. If you are a Wendy’s rewards member, you even get a free small Frosty coupon to use on any day throughout your birthday month, so you can try this drink with a friend! This isn’t the first mango-themed Frosty that Wendy’s has launched, and in The Philippines, you can grab a mango sticky rice Frosty overload as part of their permanent menu. Why is Tajin so popular? Tajin became an internet craze back in 2021, but it has been a popular item on the shelves of Mexican food shops for a long time. The spice is made up of just three ingredients: mild chili peppers, lime, and sea salt. It has a fairly mild heat level, so it won’t make your food crazy spicy, but that sweet/spicy/salty flavor combo is the perfect complement for almost anything you can think of. If heat is a deal-breaker though, they do offer a habanero version that isn’t as hot. This spice has always been used on savory foods, but online, people started sprinkling this stuff on fruits like watermelon and mango. After that, they got even more creative and started wrapping gas station pickles in fruit roll-ups and dipping them in the spicy season and Chamoy sauce. Despite the popularity around the spice, Wendy’s fans in the US have been left wondering when they will get to try this. Some have begged the fast food outlet to bring it over. One person said: “Mango frosty YES! I’d try it.” Another pleaded: “Mango Frosty NEEDS to come to the States, man.” With all of the hype around this drink, it’s clear that this drink would be a big hit in the US, but Wendy’s has yet to mention whether they plan to serve this drink outside of The Bahamas.

  • Wendy’s finally releases exclusive ‘Saucy Nuggets’ after popular demand – Dexerto

Wendy’s finally releases exclusive ‘Saucy Nuggets’ after popular demand Wendy’sWendy’s is finally bringing out their highly anticipated Saucy Nuggets – and customers might get more than they bargained for. The Saucy Nuggets were first introduced by Wendy’s back in December 2023, when they trialed the new menu items. However, they weren’t widely available and were only tested in a few select locations in Ohio. The nuggets are meant to resemble chicken wings in the sense that they’re placed in a container along with flavorings, then shaken up to give a crispy coating. Originally, four flavors were trialed: Honey BBQ, Buffalo, Ghost Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan. As soon as customers learned these new food items were in the test phase, they were eager to try them, proclaiming: “They literally used to do these — called them bites? Boneless wings, maybe? — and I still miss the Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken ones.” “They had something similar to this like over a decade ago and it was dope.” Wendy’s was the first chain to introduce boneless wings way back in 2009. You could buy three flavors – Honey BBQ, Buffalo, and Sweet & Spicy. Customers could purchase seven to nine wings for only $3.99, or in a combo meal for $5.69 Now, Wendy’s fans’ dreams are all coming true, as the Saucy Nuggets are set to hit menus nationwide by June 10, 2024. Digital Media company Tasting Table attended an exclusive event displaying the New Saucy nuggets, and announced they will be available to purchase in four, six, 10, and 20 pieces. It’s unclear how much the nuggets will cost, but Tasting Table speculated they might be a little pricier than the older iterations. Speaking of the new products, Wendy’s Global Vice President of Culinary Innovation, John Li shared his thoughts on the nuggets, which he called “a very big deal” for the company. In order to prepare the new products, Wendy’s looked specifically to the Gen-Z demographic, and according to Li’s results, “what they want to eat protein-wise [is] chicken, chicken, chicken.” This is true according to a survey conducted by Piper Sandler, who found that Chick-fil-A was the most popular restaurant among teens. He said that Wendy’s “already own[s] bacon and … fresh, never-frozen beef,” but there was room to improve surrounding their chicken offerings. Perhaps the most exciting news to come from the press event, however, is that Wendy’s hinted toward more sauces in the future, though this won’t be for a while. “It’s at least a six-month process. It can take up to a year,” Li said, regarding developing new sauces. “It’s important to us to fine tune something … based on what we know our fans like.” Wendy’s continues to impress customers with new releases, as the fast food chain also just announced the debut of a new breakfast item.

  • Wendy’s customer “threw up” in car after burger apparently tasted of urine – Dexerto

Wendy’s customer “threw up” in car after burger apparently tasted of urine RedditA customer who took a late-night run to Wendy’s before it closed claims they threw up in their car after their burger tasted suspicious — and they claim their terrible experience may have involved human urine. The customer threw up all over their car whilst they were driving because their burger had reportedly been tampered with, in the worst way possible. Being a janitor, the customer claims that they know human urine when they smell it and were horrified to find it in their burger. An unwelcome late-night surprise at Wendy’s After finishing their shift at 11.40pm, the janitor decided to head to Wendy’s for a late-night meal before a 30 minute drive home. Having reportedly worked in food service before, they knew that the staff at Wendy’s might not be pleased with a customer coming in 20 minutes before the store closed at midnight. The customer claims that because of their experiences in the industry, they were, “Extra-nice knowing she (the server) wasn’t happy to see me this close to closing.” After ordering a Biggie Bag and heading off on their drive home, the customer began to eat their meal in the car and was thoroughly enjoying it, until they opened up their burger. They allege that, “It tasted and smelled like human p*ss. And remember, I work janitorial so I know what that smells like.” Surprisingly though, the customer continued to eat their burger despite their concerns, because they were really hungry after a long shift. They claim that they were halfway through the burger, when they started to feel “super sick.” They then proceeded to “puke” all over their dashboard after eating the burger with the alleged human urine in it. They stated that they typed out their original post while sitting in a car park after having cleaned their car which still smelt of vomit after the explosive incident. Although the customer was never able to get to the bottom of what happened, they said that they are “sworn off fast food for a long time.” Although there is no way to prove that the burger had actual urine in it or if it just tasted a little funky, given this customer’s career, it’s probably not something they were expecting to smell so clearly in their food.

  • Wendy’s customers disgusted as restaurant reveals Uber-style “surge pricing” plan – Dexerto

Wendy’s customers disgusted as restaurant reveals Uber-style “surge pricing” plan Wendy’sFast food customers are revolted by Wendy’s plans to implement a “surge pricing” system where the price of food, such as its Baconator, will fluctuate depending on the demand. On February 26, Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner revealed a new pricing system coming next year where the cost of food will frequently change depending on demand. For instance, during the lunch rush, a Dave’s Single quarter pounder could go up by nearly a dollar during peak hours, but could drop in price once there are fewer customers. The system is scheduled to be tested in 2025 and will utilize new “digital menu boards” where the prices will be updated in real-time, but customers are already furious at the plan. Wendy’s surge-pricing plan slammed as a “sick joke” Across social media, users were livid at Wendy’s plans to implement Uber-style surge-pricing, with many bringing up the ride-share app’s issues in their argument against the new system. “They went and Uberfied fast food,” one remarked. “I don’t think Wendy’s understands why surge pricing works and in this case WON’T work,” said another. “The consumer will go to another restaurant if they even suspect surge pricing will be in effect. With Uber or Lyft, the alternative to avoiding surge is a far different alternative than going next door to McDonald’s.” Others just felt the idea of having a surge for food was just wrong to begin with. “Is this some kind of a sick joke?” one rhetorically asked. “They really want to destroy their business that much, huh?” another chimed in. They really want to destroy their business that much huh? — Tom Massman (@TomMassman) February 26, 2024 These customers aren’t the only ones who feel this way. According to The Daily Mail, more than half of 900 consumers surveyed said they found dynamic pricing to be price gouging. Despite the widespread backlash, there are some who support the idea but oppose the current strategy. “They should simply bill it as a discount for eating during off-peak hours,” someone suggested. “You don’t want to go to a restaurant and have to pay 40% more for your burger, you can’t plan around it.” We’ll have to wait and see how Wendy’s implements this plan or the company backtracks before the test begins next year.

  • Wendy’s customer shamed by worker for wanting her change back – Dexerto

Wendy’s customer shamed by worker for wanting her change back TIKTOK: myemtv / UNSPLASHA customer claims she was ‘shamed’ by a Wendy’s employee for simply waiting for her change after a food order. TikToker Emily Haswell (myemtv) was waiting for her order at a Wendy’s drive-thru, when an employee tried to keep her change, before shaming her for wanting her 64 cents. “Y’all today I was picking up lunch at Wendy’s, the only fast food restaurant that inexplicably sells baked potatoes and I looked in my wallet to pay and I realized I had cash, which is amazing cause then it’s like lunch is free, right?” she began in a viral clip. Her lunch totaled “six something,” and she gave the cashier $7. However, upon receiving the food, she said the worker just wished her a good day. “I said, ‘Oh, I think you forgot my change,’” Emily recounted. “Tell me why this man looked me dead in my face and went: ‘You want 64 cents?’” Looking stunned, she recalled thinking: “Yeah, I want my 64 cents, I’m not asking you to dig in your own pocket for 64 cents but…unless the price went up, during this transaction, yeah I’d like my 64 cents.” She continued: “We’re in a recession, I got a 2-year-old at home, p*sses like diapers don’t cost money. Do I want my 64 cents? Anyway I got home and he only gave me 55 cents back.” TikTok users flooded the comments, sharing their own similar experiences. “No but why did this happen to me yesterday at Wendy’s?! Then they said they didn’t have the change,” one person wrote. “Same thing happened to me I asked for my change which was 80 something cents and he said oh I thought you were leaving a tip…in the drive through??” another shared. “I’ve had this happen!!! why do people think I don’t want my money just because it’s coins?” a third added. “Girl, yes… I had to start telling the guys at the gas station that I wanted my seven cents back,” someone else commented. “I realized they were keeping it every time…NOPE.”

  • Wendy’s customer shocked by size of secret T-Rex burger – Dexerto

Wendy’s customer shocked by size of secret T-Rex burger TikTok: antstorm123A Wendy’s customer was shocked by the size of their secret menu burger — the ‘T-Rex.’ TikToker Anthony Villegas grew his 3M following by taking food recommendations from viewers. First, a viewer sends a suggestion in his comments, and then he goes to the restaurant and orders what was requested. In one of his most recent TikToks, Anthony was asked to order off of Wendy’s secret menu. Though he wasn’t sure what to expect, he was shocked when he saw the size of what is deemed the “T-Rex” burger. What is Wendy’s T-Rex burger? The T-Rex burger on Wendy’s secret menu is a nine-patty burger served on one bun with lettuce, onion, and pickles. When Anthony ordered it at the front counter at his local Wendy’s, the employee said she wouldn’t even know how to wrap it as it was so ginormous. The employee even went as far as saying it should be “taken off” the menu because it’s such a tall feat to finish, let alone package. When Anthony took the T-Rex burger out of the bag, he appeared visibly shocked and said, “Holy smokes!” Though Anthony said he ‘thought’ he could finish the nine-patty, always fresh and never frozen burger, he threw in the towel after the first few bites. When Anthony was finally done with the “too big to handle” $30 T-Rex burger, he rated it a 5/10 and said he would “never” try to eat the burger again. Viewers of Anthony’s now-viral video have since reacted to the mountain of meat he attempted to eat by saying they would prefer a “steak” for that price. Others were just as shocked by its size, taking to the comments to sarcastically call the Wendy’s T-Rex burger “an entire meatloaf” on a burger bun.

  • Wendy’s appears to call out other fast food chains for $5 value meals in new ad campaign – Dexerto

Wendy’s appears to call out other fast food chains for $5 value meals in new ad campaign Wendy’sWendy’s looks to have thrown some serious shade at other fast food chains in their most recent ad campaign. The TV advert, which dropped on June 24, 2024 focuses around their $5 Biggie Bag, which has been around since 2019. With fast food inflation rising exponentially in 2024, many chains like McDonald’s and KFC have launched $5 value meals, but Wendy’s is here to remind you that they did it first. The ad, which shows a $5 Biggie Bag meal featuring a Wendy’s hamburger, fries, and a cola, has a voiceover that states: “It kinda feels like everybody’s trying to copy the $5 Biggie Bag.” “So how can you spot a knockoff? Uhm, it won’t taste like Wendy’s.” The ad then goes on to say, “This job is easy,” appearing to state that there’s no competition for Wendy’s. The value meals that have been dropping recently are numerous, so much so that we even ranked all of them. From McDonald’s $5 meal to Jack in the Box’s munchies under $4, fast food chains are racing to gain back customers since studies found that nearly 80% of American citizens see fast food as a luxury item in 2024. Wendy’s did technically do it first. Their Biggie Bag has always been $5, and unlike some other chains, is a permanent menu feature. The Biggie Bag features the choice of a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or Crispy Chicken Sandwich paired with a 4-piece nugget, one Jr. fries and a small soft drink. Since June 20, customers have been able to add a small frosty too, free of charge. People in the comments were very amused by this call out from Wendy’s, with someone commenting, “Fast food chains beefing has to be the funniest beef.” Another seemed to think that this ad was firing shots specifically at McDonald’s, saying: “I started dying because I knew exactly who they were talking about.” and another simply saying, “Wendy’s ate.” People claim to agree with the ad, stating that Wendy’s does taste better, and that you can upsize the drink and fries for a small extra fee. However, others were mentioning that a biggie bag cost $7-8 depending on what state they lived in. If you’re still on the hunt for fast food bargains, Burger King is giving away free burgers every Friday.

  • Wendy’s backtracks on Uber-style surge pricing after backlash – Dexerto

Wendy’s backtracks on Uber-style surge pricing after backlash Wendy’sWendy’s has backtracked on its Uber-style surge pricing idea after backlash from users across social media. On February 26, Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner revealed a new pricing system that could see prices of their most popular items rise in price during peak demand. This sparked quite a bit of backlash across the internet, with users taking to social media to share their disgust with the fast food company. In a statement on February 27, 2024, Wendy’s made it clear that raising the cost of its products isn’t actually in their plans. Wendy’s backtracks on Uber-style surge pricing In a statement, Wendy’s clarified its stance on how it will approach pricing and made it clear that they will not implement surge pricing. “One initiative is digital menuboards, which are being added to U.S. Company-operated restaurants. We said these menuboards would give us more flexibility to change the display of featured items,” they said. “Wendy’s will not implement surge pricing, which is the practice of raising prices when demand is highest. We didn’t use that phrase, nor do we plan to implement that practice.” Wendy’s had previously declined to comment on whether or not the price of food would increase during peak lunch and dinner hours. “Dynamic pricing can allow Wendy’s to be competitive and flexible with pricing, motivate customers to visit and provide them with the food they love at a great value,” the chain said in a statement earlier this week. The Ohio-based company made it clear in its statement that the digital menuboards being used will allow them to change the menu offerings at different times of the day. On top of that, they could offer new discounts and value offers to their customers more easily. It would also allow them to remove out-of-stock or discontinued items with ease. This is already done through the Wendy’s mobile app quite often, but those who swing through the drive-thru would be missing out on the added value deals.

  • Wendy’s AI drive-thru is going viral and sparking fears about the AI takeover – Dexerto

Wendy’s AI drive-thru is going viral and sparking fears about the AI takeover Tasting TableWendy’s AI-assistant-powered drive-thru has gone viral all across social media, sparking a conversation about what it means for both customers and employees of fast food chains. In a video that’s been trending all over TikTok, a customer documented her experience of using Wendy’s drive-thru AI assistant – and people were amazed. The video quickly viral, accruing over 13 million views on the platform, and being shared to X/Twitter too. TikTok user @brittanyann_222 was shocked when she was asked to give her order to an AI instead of a human. “Welcome to Wendy’s, what would you like?” the company’s new AI assistant asked. Brittany made her order, opting for a medium Chocolate Frosty. The computer then asked her “Can I get you anything else today?” to which she declined. “That’s all,” she said, before being told to pull up at the next window. Viewers were astounded after seeing the new AI assistant in action, writing “Oh wow… I’m writing an essay about AI. I’m bringing this up lol.” Many were impressed by the new technology: “I like that it’s polite and takes my order correctly. Better than the previous option.” “I’ve used these at a couple restaurants and it honestly understands what I’m ordering with incredible accuracy. To me, it’s an improvement,” another agreed. Some weren’t so sure, saying that “we keep seeing time and time again that the only purpose of AI advancement is to reduce jobs and save money for the corporate overlords and there’s still no policies on it.” “How are we teenagers and young adults going to support ourselves?” another asked. A viral post on X/Twitter reacting to the video speculated that AI would “wipe out 80 percent of the jobs on the planet if we don’t do something.” Wendy’s rolled out its AI drive-thru’s in 2023, trialling at four locations in Columbus, Ohio. However, customers will see more rolled out throughout the course of 2024, as a part of the chain’s AI expansion plans. “Wendy’s FreshAI is not just a speaker and a microphone,” Matt Spessard, chief technology officer for Wendy’s, said in a piece posted to the Wendy’s website. “It’s a personalized, responsive experience for every customer. “Our accuracy during the pilot, measured as the percentage of orders successfully handled by Wendy’s FreshAI without restaurant team member intervention, averaged 86% and we would expect the average to only to increase.” So, despite some viewers’ apprehensions, these machines will become increasingly common. A number of smaller chains, such as Checkers, Krystal, White Castle and Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., also have their own drive-thru AI ventures, and large chains such as Dunkin’ are also testing the new technology. Another drive-thru customer went viral back in January, when they pulled up to the window with a horse in the backseat.

  • We tried Liquid Death’s Hot Fudge Sundae water and it’s surprisingly tasty – Dexerto

We tried Liquid Death’s Hot Fudge Sundae water and it’s surprisingly tasty DexertoLiquid Death now has a Hot Fudge Sundae flavored water in partnership with Van Leeuwen ice cream and it doesn’t taste as crazy as you might think. Sparkling water has skyrocketed in popularity over the years, and Liquid Death is a brand that’s been at the forefront of the movement, offering unique flavors like Convicted Melon, Severed Lime, and Cherry Obituary. Liquid Death’s new Hot Fudge Sundae flavor spawned from its collaboration with Van Leeuwen, one of the biggest ice cream companies in the US, who are known for their other major partnerships with Hello Kitty, musician Sabrina Carpenter, and dozens more. I, like many others online, was quite unsure about the release at first… but my morbid curiosity eventually overpowered me. I had to try it out for myself. Luckily, the buying process was quite simple, as the product’s only available on Amazon as of writing. All I had to do was wait a few days for it to arrive at my doorstep. It’s only available in a case of eight cans, and it costs about $12. Although the idea of a fudge-flavored sparkling water might be a turn-off for some, the taste of that first can completely shattered my expectations, and my hesitancy about trying the drink went almost entirely out of the window. Immediately, I was hit with a strong (but pleasant) aroma, as if I were sitting inside an ice cream parlor and a waitress had just placed a fresh Hot Fudge Sundae on the table in front of me. It tastes just as good, too, although it’s not as strong of a chocolate flavor as I initially expected. Paired with the scent, it’s just enough to finish off the experience. It’s just tasty, simple as that. Hot Fudge Sundae proves that Liquid Death can experiment with its flavors and offer something outside of its existing options – something that makes the company stand out against the competition even more than it already does. Liquid Death isn’t the first drink company to try unique flavors in 2024, either. Coca-Cola launched a popcorn-flavored soda at McDonald’s in Germany back in July, and many customers found themselves enjoying the drink. Coke also revealed an Oreo-flavored variant of its zero-sugar soda in August, but the product won’t be available until September 2024. It’s well worth picking up a case of Hot Fudge Sundae-flavored Liquid Death if you’re interested in trying something new, and I hope the company decides to try to keep it around for a while. Unfortunately, since it was released as a limited-edition partnership, it’s unlikely we’ll see Liquid Death keep it around for too long.

  • Wendy’s $1 March Madness deal mocked as “damage control” for prices backlash – Dexerto

Wendy’s $1 March Madness deal mocked as “damage control” for prices backlash Wendy’sWendy’s are going viral as fans mock their March Madness deal, claiming that it’s simply “damage control.” If you haven’t heard, Wendy’s announced that they’d be giving away a brand new deal for customers. To celebrate the NCAA basketball tournament, the chain is offering Dave’s Single burgers for just $1 or Dave’s Double burgers for just $2. Customers can grab this via the Wendy’s app. However, fans’ reaction to the deal wasn’t quite what we expected, as many people are feeling frustrated that this comes right after the chain announced they would be increasing their prices. “Beginning as early as 2025, we will begin testing a variety of enhanced features on these digital menu boards like dynamic pricing, different offerings in certain parts of the day, AI-enabled menu changes, and suggestive selling based on factors such as weather,” the statement reads. People not buying Wendy’s $1 March Madness deal After a Reddit post was made about the March Madness deal, fans were displeased, writing: “Nice try, Wendy’s.” “Nah they can all go straight to Hell. I don’t care what they offer on their menu for what price, I’ll never eat there again,” another wrote, clearly angry. “Wendy’s is dead to me ever since they suggested price surging,” one stated dramatically. Another comment predicted that Wendy’s might be in trouble in the near future, claiming: “Surge pricing at work in reverse, nobody will go there anymore and so they lower the prices temporarily to stimulate demand.” McDonald’s also went viral in March, as reports indicated that more and more people were ditching their Big Macs for Taco Bell.

  • Walmart’s Stanley Cup dupes and mini Stanley Cup prices shock customers – Dexerto

Walmart’s Stanley Cup dupes and mini Stanley Cup prices shock customers WalmartWalmart is selling Stanley Cup dupes and “baby Stanley cups” for half the price of the regular cups and customers can’t believe their eyes. The craze of the Stanley Cup has been sweeping the nation for over a year now, and with the demand for their new releases, it doesn’t look like the hype will ease up anytime soon. A standard 40oz Stanley Cup will cost you anywhere between $30-$40 at Walmart and the highly-anticipated limited edition ones from Starbucks will cost you $60. According to a TikTok by @drab.to.dreamy, Walmart’s own brand of Stanley cup dupes is just as good as the original. The brand is called Ozark Trail and is available at Walmart for $14.97 for a 40oz stainless steel tumbler in 15 colors, including the classic black, pink, and silver. The standard cups have a handy non-slip silicon surface, but these cups also come in metallic glittery versions and a cute ombre edition for summer. On top of this, the brand sells an 18oz tumbler which is great if you find the size of the original Stanley cup a little excessive. The smaller cup, dubbed the “Baby Stanley” is $9.98 and comes in black, pink, or lilac. People on TikTok love these cups, with one user saying, “I have the flip-straw one like that from Walmart and it’s the best damn cup. It doesn’t leak and keeps my ice all day. It looks identical to my Stanley flip-straw one.” Another user even did a test of these cups versus the original Stanley and claimed they kept cooler for longer: “The Walmart brand one actually works better than the Stanley, I did a comparison. My daughter has a Stanley and I have the Walmart one and it holds ice way longer than the Stanley.” Some other TikToks praise Walmart’s exclusive brand TAL for making great Stanley cup dupes: These cups come in the standard 40oz Stanley cup size for $14.98, as well as a smaller 30oz cup for the same price that comes with a silicone straw. They also make a massive 64oz cup to quench your thirst for $19.98. Although these cups are a massive hit amongst Stanley Cup fans who don’t want to pay the full price, one TikTok user commented on the video saying, “It’s like wearing bike shoes from Walmart instead of Nike. I can’t be seen with a dupe.” Another said, “I can’t get over the fact that people are flipping out over cups.” The creator of the TikTok video quipped back saying that she “can’t relate”. It’s clear lots of people feel this way too, because there are dozens of TikToks praising these Walmart dupes as people flock to take part in the craze without breaking the bank. • Walmart’s Raising Canes sauce dupe has customers completely “obsessed” – Dexerto

Walmart’s Raising Canes sauce dupe has customers completely “obsessed” TikTok: @morganchompzA Walmart customer had a revelation when they found a sauce that tasted super similar to Raising Cane’s, and TikTok were here for it. The Raising Canes sauce is, of course, iconic, the ingredients being a well kept secret by the chain. It’s made fresh daily by the crew, and goes great with chicken, fries, sandwiches, Texas toast, and even coleslaw. Morgan, who regularly posts about value items on TikTok, accrued over 750,000 views on the platform, after she shared a viral dupe for the ever-popular Raising Canes sauce. “It’s official. Great Value now has their own version of Raising Cane’s iconic Cane’s sauce,” she said, referencing Walmart’s own store brand. “This is Walmart’s new Chicken Finger Dipping Sauce, and it’s supposed to be like Raising Cane’s popular fry-like peppery sauce.” This really got people talking on the platform, as many had already tried Walmart’s version, and thought that it was amazing. “I am obsessed with the chicken finger sauce. I use it on everything. I think it tastes 100% identical to Canes,” one proclaimed. “I was literally at Walmart and they only had three left so I got some and it’s perfect,” another said. In a follow up video she posted, Morgan said: “It’s totally got that fry sauce-like flavor, but with a little bit of tang and that exact same level of pepper. It’s very peppery, but that’s how Cane’s sauce is. In my mind, there is no doubt about it—this is Cane’s sauce.” “Walmart’s about to put Raising Cane’s out of business with this one,” she added. Taco Bell’s boss also went viral in April, after he revealed the “life changing” hack he orders each time he visits the chain.

  • Walmart shopper’s theory claims self-checkouts are ‘turned-off’ to manipulate customers – Dexerto

Walmart shopper’s theory claims self-checkouts are ‘turned-off’ to manipulate customers TaurusEmerald, Wikimedia CommonsA Walmart shopper has gone viral after she shared her theory surrounding why Walmart is turning off self-checkouts. In a video that’s gained over 300,000 views, a woman who goes by @lgbtavenger on the platform, shared her opinion on Walmart’s departure from self service checkouts. “Do you guys want to hear my Walmart conspiracy theory?” she begins. “They’re not turning off the self-checkouts because people are stealing. They’re turning off the self checkouts because they want everyone to sign up for Walmart Plus,” she claims. “They’re not going to put more cashiers there. They want the lines to be wrapped around the store out the door, and do you know why? Because with the paid membership to Walmart Plus you get scan and go, which means you get to scan your groceries, pay for it on your phone, and walk out the door.” According to the Walmart website, the Scan & Go option is, indeed, only available for Walmart Plus members. “They are literally pulling cashiers and closing down the self checkouts because they want to create a situation where everybody has the $12.99 a month Walmart+ subscription so they can avoid standing in lines,” the TikToker continues. TikTok weigh in on woman’s Walmart theory After the video was posted on the platform, people couldn’t wait to weigh in and share their opinion surrounding the woman’s Walmart theory. “PAYING THEM so you can be your own cashier and scan your own groceries,” one wrote, followed by a series of crying emojis. “We have to pay to shop for food and then pay for the food and pay for bags to carry the food home!” another said, clearly outraged. “Pretty soon they’re gonna have a tip option, I just know it,” the video’s creator responded. A few offered some alternatives, writing: “Costco is the only store I know with a membership, but you get cheaper gas, bulk buys, samples etc… Walmart isn’t offering any better services and expect extra.” Another Walmart customer went viral after they confronted an employee for having to “do their job.”

  • Walmart worker catches online order pickers “hiding” unavailable items – Dexerto

Walmart worker catches online order pickers “hiding” unavailable items WalmartA Walmart worker went viral after he claimed that online pickers were actually lying to customers about ‘unavailable’ items. If you’ve ever ordered a Walmart pick-up through the store’s mobile application or website, then your order will have been fulfilled by a ‘picker.’ Pickers are the people who will manually grab the items in store for you, and are equipped with devices that display all of the store’s inventory. Sometimes, however, there are discrepancies between the inventory list, and what’s actually in store. This might be a result of theft, unprocessed returns, or a number of other reasons. Tio Choco, a TikToker, decided to investigate. “Doing exceptions—looking for items the pickers ‘couldn’t find,’” he writes in the video’s text overlay. He then moves around the store, and finds a total of six items that a picker had marked as being unavailable, demonstrating that customers might be being lied to about these items. People praise Walmart worker After the video was posted on the platform, many people commended Tio, writing: “So you’re the reason I always get ALL my items.” “The way my anger is set up… I’d quickly be out of a job. Do they get in trouble when you find the items?” one asked, clearly fired up. “Yes,” Tio wrote back, suggesting that pickers could get in trouble if they failed to collect an available item. “A couple days ago I placed a $100+ order. Final total was $3.38 cus’ all my shopper could find was the Takis,” one customer revealed. “I swear, sometimes it’s like they’re hiding it on purpose though, so they don’t have to get it and do anything,” another frustrated customer wrote. Another Walmart worker went viral when they called out customers for “scamming other shoppers.”

  • Walmart is selling the craziest flavor of Cup Noodles yet – Dexerto

Walmart is selling the craziest flavor of Cup Noodles yet Cup NoodlesThere have been some crazy flavors of Cup Noodle in the past, including Everything Bagel and pumpkin flavor, but now ramen fans can expect something a little sweeter to curb their appetite. Cup Noodles have just dropped a s’mores flavor of their classic ramen pots, and people aren’t sure what to make of them. Now available at Walmart, let’s tuck in to what you can expect from this crazy ramen flavor. When Snackolator, a popular food blogger, announced the release of these Cup Noodles on his Instagram, many weren’t sure what to think, with the comments going off in a pretty negative way: After the food blogger assured fans this was not a badly timed April Fools’ Day prank, people were commenting saying. “The pumpkin was vile, now s’mores… hard pass.” Another chimed in, joking, “Someone at Nissin needs to take a pregnancy test,” suggesting that this could be a weird pregnancy craving. On the other hand, several foodies were intrigued, with some saying that while they usually stay away from weird ramen flavors, this one was so out-there they had to try it. On the Walmart website, this dish is described as a ‘dessert ramen’: “Cup Noodles Campfire S’mores transports consumers to a new kind of campfire moment wherever they are by combining the unmistakable blend of decadent chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker flavors with a smokey note for a truly unique s’mores experience.” If that wasn’t sweet enough, they even suggest adding crumbled graham crackers and mini marshmallows. If you can’t figure out what this strange dessert might look like, this TikToker made a similar dessert back in 2022: Considering ramen noodles are technically neutral in flavor, they could be used as a dessert, and sometimes are at fancy ramen restaurants in Japan. However, this version of Cup Noodles will likely be a shock to the palette of someone used to eating ramen loaded with sriracha or soy sauce. If you want to try them, they’ll be available at Walmart for a limited time only. If you still feel like taking some culinary risks, Heinz have also released a sauce made up of every single one of their flavors. If you click on a product link on this page we may earn a small affiliate commission.

  • Walmart recalls thousands of apple juice cases due to arsenic levels – Dexerto

Walmart recalls thousands of apple juice cases due to arsenic levels WalmartWalmart has had to recall another one of their popular items due to levels of arsenic flagged by epidemiologists. The supermarket giant has had to pull nearly 10,000 cases of their Great Value apple juice after tests revealed the juice contained above-acceptable levels of inorganic arsenic levels. The FDA originally issued the recall on August 15, but increased the warning to a Class II category warning. Class II Recalls are issued on products that have a lower chance of causing major injuries or death, but where there is still the possibility of serious enough adverse events to have irreversible consequence. This type of recall is related to substances that can cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The recalled juices were sold in 8oz bottles in packs of six at Walmart stores across 25 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. This isn’t the first time apple juice has been recalled due to arsenic levels, in fact, in May, 25,000 bottles were recalled for the very same issue, remember the bottles that everyone was biting into on TikTok? Yeah, those. So, why is arsenic finding its way into our apple juice? And is it still safe to drink? Arsenic is released into the environment through industrial and agricultural processes and comes in two forms: organic and inorganic. Inorganic arsenic, which is the type that has shown up in the apple juice recalls, is considered the more toxic form, according to the World Health Organization. Arsenic exposure usually comes from smoking tobacco, being around tobacco smoke, or consuming, by eating or drinking, contaminated plants. “In the U.S., arsenic — especially inorganic arsenic — was used in agricultural activities as a component of pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides,” says Jordan Kuiper, Ph.D., epidemiologist and assistant professor in the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. “It is important to note that apple trees are able to uptake arsenic from the contaminated soil and/or water, where it is then moved to other parts of the plant, including the apple fruit itself. However, arsenic can be introduced to the final product, apple juice, at multiple points along the production process.” Bein exposed to arsenic can cause arsenic poisoning in the short-term, but since it is also a carcinogen, it has been linked to causing skin, lung, and bladder cancer, per the WHO. “While arsenic can naturally occur in some foods, including apple juice, the levels are generally considered low and safe for consumption,” says Daniel Ganjian, MD, a pediatrician at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. “However, it’s important to note that the amount of arsenic in apple juice can vary depending on factors such as where the apples are grown and the specific processing methods used.” So, the best advice is to remain vigilant about recalls and to try and reduce your apple juice intake if you are someone who consumes a lot of it.

  • Walmart going viral for incredible vintage heart cakes at jaw-dropping prices – Dexerto

Walmart going viral for incredible vintage heart cakes at jaw-dropping prices TikTok: @dynastinichelleCustomers were astounded by the skill of Walmart’s corporate bakers upon ordering their trendy vintage heart cakes – but the biggest shock was the price. We’ve seen several viral videos of Walmart’s viral birthday cakes circulating TikTok over the years. Most recently, a woman came upon a hilarious mistake when the chain messed up her order in a pretty big way. She explained the instructions for the cake in her order, writing “Aries Baby (Small, cursive, and in the middle of the cake.)” The bakers took things a little too seriously though – and wrote out the directions on the cake, word for word. Now, another woman went viral after she purchased a vintage-style cake from Walmart – but this time it was for all the right reasons. The vintage heart cake has become a big trend in 2024, with tons of reels and TikToks on social media platforms. These cakes are called “vintage” or “retro” because they’ve actually been around for centuries. They’re known for their extravagant, over-piped designs and “can be traced back to the French Rococo style of the 1700s – an age known for its ornate and gilded designs.” As a reflection of the time-consuming process behind decorating these kinds of cakes, they tend to be quite expensive. Independent bakers will typically charge upwards of $125. This is why TikToker, Dynastinichelle, is going viral, as she managed to grab one of these from Walmart for only $17.98. The cake was white, modeled in a heart shape with edible pearls and piping detail. The middle of the cake said “Aries Angel” in cursive letters. “I ordered it Thursday morning and the cake was ready on Friday, like at 2:30. Don’t spend that money on a cake. This cake was $17.98,” said Dynastinichelle. With the video eclipsing 1 million views, many are astounded by the low price. “Girl it looks identical to mine from my birthday and that was $80,” one wrote, clearly impressed. “That cake decorator has skill! She should open her own business,” another chimed in. “How did you get the cake to be heart-shaped? I’m trying to customize my sister’s cake and I only see circle shapes. Please help,” one wrote in. Though it’s classified as a ‘custom cake,’ the heart shape isn’t an option on the store’s website. So, if you want to get your hands on one, you’ll have to make a visit to the store just like Dynastinichelle did. The customizable cakes from Walmart cost anywhere between $15.98 – $68.76 – depending on size. Walmart isn’t the only place where people can grab some birthday bargains. Back in December, a woman’s $30 Costco birthday party had viewers obsessed.

In a clip that only lasted 16 seconds, a Walmart employee quickly went viral when they shared one of their hacks to avoid certain customers at work. It’s the most uncomfortable feeling ever,” one wrote. One said that her manager allowed her to have an alias, writing: “I work at Walmart too. My boss lets me have a nickname cuz I’ve been there. My badge says Megatron. The kids love it lol.” “No literally. I always got yelled at for not wearing my name tag when I did curbside. But I had multiple uncomfortable situations,” another shared. One user, however, didn’t seem to mind customer’s addressing them, writing: “I don’t know if it’s because I’m a hair stylist or what, but I literally don’t care when strangers address me by my name, especially since I have a name tag.” Another Walmart employee went viral, after they handed a customer their vest and asked them to quit for them.

Walmart employee reveals “f**ked up” way their donuts are made TaurusEmerald, Wikimedia CommonsA Walmart employee went viral after they exposed how the supermarket’s donuts are really made. One of the best things about a shopping trip to Walmart is visiting the baked goods section, and picking up a fresh sweet treat to chow down on. The store’s donuts are undoubtedly one of the most popular items in the section, but after a video was posted on TikTok showing how they were made, people are rethinking their choices. In the clip, which appears to be inside a Walmart kitchen, we see donuts which have been piled into cardboard boxes, sealed with plastic. “Walmart donuts are not fresh. They order plain yeast donuts in bulk and store them in freezers,” the voiceover says. TikTok weigh in on Walmart donuts After the video was posted on the platform, people couldn’t wait to weigh in and share their thoughts surrounding the Walmart donuts. Some people were clearly unimpressed, writing that it was “f**ked up,” after seeing the video. Another was confused by the appearance of the donuts, asking “why they wet?” Many, however, didn’t seem to care about the donut making process, and were even baffled that some thought they were fresh: “Did anyone really expect Walmart employees making fresh donuts in the back? They taste frozen.” “Okay and? What was the point of this? Walmart isn’t a doughnut shop. Get back to work. You’re 10 mins over your break,” another said. Some even claimed that major donut chains used frozen donuts, writing: “This is exactly how Dunkin’ Donuts makes theirs lol.” Another Walmart worker went viral, when they called out customers for “scamming other shoppers.”

Walmart employee hands customer vest and asks them to quit for her TaurusEmerald, Wikimedia CommonsA woman went viral after she shared a story where a Walmart employee handed her their vest and asked her to quit for them. TikToker Lilroxy had an unusual experience on her most recent trip to Walmart as she took to the short-form video platform to reveal what happened. In the video’s caption, she wrote: “I pointed and she handed me her Walmart Employee vest and resigned from her position that very moment.” In the video, she explains what really went down: “I am walking into Walmart looking down at my phone and went to a cart in the middle of the entryway. This beautiful lady comes to me and asks if I knew where customer service was. Lilroxy located a manager to tell them that the employee had quit. When she found one, she explained: “I hate to inform you, but June has officially quit. … She handed this to me when I walked in and got my cart and asked me to come take it to you, and she said she’s done.” “You know her?” the manager asked, clearly confused. “No, I don’t, I’m here just to shop,” the TikToker replied. “I walked in, she said, ‘Do you know where customer service is?’ And, like, ‘Please hand them this.’” The manager then apologized and told Lilroxy that they’d look into the situation. People support Walmart employee quitting After the video was posted on TikTok, it gained over 944,000 views, with people eager to weigh in on what went down. “Poor lady must’ve gone through pure hell at work to do this. Thank you for being there for her. I used to work for that company. I know,” one empathized. “I understand her, they treat you terribly. I worked at Walmart for a year and ended up getting fired while pregnant because a manager targeted me and they didn’t want to pay me maternity leave,” another revealed. One commented on the manager’s response to the situation, writing: “The way she’s acting like she doesn’t know they treated her like crap. Guaranteed she was pushed out.” Another Walmart employee went viral when they caught online order pickers “hiding” unavailable items.

  • Walmart customers delighted with Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter dupe – Dexerto

Walmart customers delighted with Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter dupe TikTok: @kayleighleonWalmart customers are in a frenzy over Walmart’s Texas Roadhouse iconic Cinnamon Butter Roll dupe, claiming that the frozen supermarket option is far better than the original. Perhaps one of the most iconic items sold at Texas Roadhouse is none other than the chain’s Cinnamon Butter, however, if you’re like us, you’re often left scraping your mini rolls at the bottom of the saucer, which is never quite enough to satiate your cravings. Now, however, all your butter-based dreams are being made a reality, as Walmart are stocking the classic Texas Roadhouse butter in large tubs you can purchase when you’re doing your grocery shopping. In addition to this, they’re also stacking frozen Texas Roadhouse branded rolls with a honey cinnamon glaze that you can heat up at home. TikToker Kayleigh reviewed the products side by side, with both the Walmart and Roadhouse products in hand. Comparing the price, she said: “From Texas Roadhouse, a dozen rolls is $4.99 plus their cinnamon butter.” And the frozen ones from Walmart are $5.26, and it comes with 12 as well and also comes with honey cinnamon glaze,” along with this, she says: “I also bought Walmart’s honey cinnamon butter for $2.56,” To conduct her taste test, Kayleigh first took a bite of the Texas Roadhouse rolls with their Cinnamon Butter. “I’m honestly not a huge fan of it. I don’t get the hype. There’s way more honey than cinnamon in the butter. I want a cinnamon butter.” Then, she dug into the Walmart variety, which she was clearly impressed with. “This one is better than Texas Roadhouse,” she said. “I would choose Walmart’s tiny cinnamon butter all day over Texas Roadhouse. There’s honestly no comparison. The Walmart one is so cinnamon-ey, and I absolutely love that. “If you really don’t care for rolls like me, I would definitely go with Walmart because it’s just so convenient and the fact they’re so warm and gooey, and they have that cinnamon glaze that seeps into it, making it a little soggy with cinnamon.” People in the comments section agreed wholeheartedly with Kayleigh, writing: “I agree. I had Texas Roadhouse for the first time in years and I was disappointed in the butter. I make it at home and add so much more cinnamon and it’s a lot better. I loved the rolls, though.” “The Texas Roadhouse rolls are only good when fresh, yours looked cold,” another concurred. “I agree I can’t stand the Texas roadhouse butter,” a third chimed in. Some, however, immediately came to the chain’s defence, asking: “Did you just say ‘ehhh’ to Texas Roadhouse ROLLS?” “Texas Roadhouse rolls are the greatest thing ever,” another voiced. This isn’t the first fast food dupe Walmart have gone viral for. Back in December 2023, a former McDonald’s chef revealed that the supermarket chain carried the perfect copycat for the McDonald’s breakfast sausage.

  • Walmart customers shocked after discovering what store does with leftover chicken – Dexerto

Walmart customers shocked after discovering what store does with leftover chicken TaurusEmerald, Wikimedia CommonsA woman took to TikTok to discuss how Walmart deals with leftover items, but it was their rotisserie chickens that really got people talking. Have you ever wondered what big retailers do with unsold stock? Well, TikToker Ivonne thought it was time to have a talk about Walmart’s leftover items. “I wanna ask you guys something: do you ever wonder what happens to the rotisserie chicken that they don’t sell here at Walmart?” Cruz asks. “Let me show you what they do with it, hold on.” It then cuts to her making her way through the store: “Walk with me, walk with me, walk with me.” “Right here,” she says, showing off the chicken. “They freeze it, so you guys could buy it after. That’s what they do. So if they don’t sell it they freeze it and sell it to you at six bucks? “If you’re ever wondering what they do to that chicken, that’s what they do. They don’t toss it, they freeze it and resell it to the consumer,” she says. She then discovers more frozen chicken, telling viewers: “Guys I found some more chicken but this one, these are marked down to $3…don’t buy the $5 ones cause you could find them marked down…” she says before the video cuts. People weigh in on Walmart freezing rotisserie chicken After the video was posted on the platform, a couple of people were shocked to find that the chain recycled their chicken in this manner, asking: “What the hell?” However, most people commended Walmart for preventing food waste, and making the most of leftover goods. “Are they supposed to throw away perfectly good chicken? I’m sure most of us put away or freeze leftover food.” Other stores also seemed to follow the same procedures: “Sam’s does this. Whatever didn’t sell in the time frame was put in the cooler and the next day they were put back out for sell as legs and thighs.” One commenter however, took issue with the frozen product’s price, writing: “Nothing wrong with frozen chicken but it should be half price.” Walmart also went viral in February, when an employee handed a customer their vest and asked them to quit for her.

  • Walmart customer accuses Kellogg’s of ‘keeping community poor’ with shockingly high prices – Dexerto

Walmart customer accuses Kellogg’s of ‘keeping community poor’ with shockingly high prices TikTok: @trendyjohnsunscreenViewers are saying that Kellogg’s is ‘keeping the community poor,’ after a TikToker travelled to a lower income community and still found high prices. Kellogg’s has been making headlines, after people decided to boycott the brand, when their CEO revealed that they were lowering the cost of their items, so that people could eat cereal for dinner. However, this backfired, and people began speculating that this was merely a ploy to increase prices at a later date, after getting everyone hooked. After Kellogg’s was cancelled, we saw viral videos of the brands’ cereal discontinued in stores everywhere. However, a new TikTok suggests that this might not be the case everywhere. A Walmart shopper named John filmed a video where he travelled to a lower income area in Orlando, and checked out the Kellogg’s prices in a local Walmart. Many of the people who shopped there regularly had to use food stamps to buy food. “So I’ve had a lot of people ask me to go to a lower-income area in Orlando,” he says. “So I’m at the Walmart on Colonial, and since a lot of people typically use food stamps to be able to buy their groceries, people wanted to see what the levels of Kellogg’s product looked like in that area.” We then saw a ton of branded items, including Pop Tarts, Rice Krispies, breakfast cereals, Cheez-It’s, Pringles – none of which are discounted. People shocked over undiscounted Kellog’s items After the video was posted on the platform, it gained over 355,000 views, with people shocked to see the undiscounted prices. “I could be mistaken but it looks like the prices are not as discounted as I’ve seen in other stores. now why would that be?” one viewer asked. “So discounted everywhere except in low income neighborhoods. I’m not surprised,” another said, clearly disappointed. “They do this at purpose at local low income community stores because they depend on stamps or assistance being used while forcing to pay ‘full price’ keeping the community poor,” one accused.

  • Walmart customer confronts worker for “doing their job” – Dexerto

Walmart customer confronts worker for “doing their job” TaurusEmerald, Wikimedia CommonsA woman confronted a Walmart worker in a viral TikTok video, for checking her receipt just before they left the store. People weighed in. We’ve seen a lot of confrontation between Walmart employees and customers in the past. In December, a woman asked an employee if she could come to their Christmas party after scanning their own items and bagging their own groceries. Now, in a video that’s gained over 4 million views on the platform, a customer confronted a Walmart employee who wanted to check her receipt. They stopped her just before she left, and she wasn’t taking any of it: “No, you can’t… You not gone harass me about no $3 thing of water. I got all these groceries in a sec. “You think I’m stealing some $3 water?… You can’t check my receipt.” The employee informs her that they’re just doing their job, but that doesn’t stop her, as she responds: “No, I’m doing your job. See, they need to have you on the register. “Y’all got Grandmama sitting on that register with 15 people behind it and nobody is checking. Don’t bother me today.” TikTok weighs in on woman confronting Walmart worker After the video was posted on the platform, people couldn’t wait to share their opinions on the matter. Many supported her, writing: “The ‘no, I’m doing your job’ was such a great line.” “Said that with class, calmness & grace,” another wrote. “Exactly! I just say ‘No thank you!’ And keep walking. I’m not about to bag my own stuff and then stand in line waiting to check receipts,” one user agreed. Some Walmart employees even weighed in, writing: “I literally work for Walmart and in our TRAINING, it states if the customer says ‘no’ to us seeing the receipt. We just smile and say have a nice day.” Some were wholly confused about the situation, stating: “My Walmart actually has the audacity to offer a “no receipt” option at the self-checkout. What then?”

  • Waitress called a “lying, cheating, skank” just because she looks like boyfriend’s ex – Dexerto

Waitress called a “lying, cheating, skank” just because she looks like boyfriend’s ex TikTok: @poorandhungryA TikToker named Syd relayed a situation where a customer apparently treated a waitress horribly, just because the server reminded them of their boyfriend’s ex who cheated on them. Syd is well known on TikTok for posting videos about the bizarre experiences she’s had with customers, as well as her own sassy responses. In February, she told a couple to serve themselves, when they told her they wouldn’t be tipping. Now, in a “guest story,” she shared a predicament that a fellow waitress found herself in, who Syd claims was the subject of abuse from a jealous woman. This is how she says the whole thing went down. “Hey, thanks for coming into the restaurant, beautiful day on the patio, what can I get you started with?” Syd asks. The waitress immediately noted that things were off, as the customer proceeded to make things difficult from the offset. First, the woman complained about needing a new fork, demanding a fresh one and showing no patience for the waitress. She then also told the waitress not to “rush” her and bring out diet cokes to start, before then complaining there was far too much ice in the glasses. Finally, the waitress had enough and asked the customer what was going on, and why they were treating her so badly. “Yeah, there’s a problem, you look exactly like the girl that my boyfriend just cheated on me with,” the customer responded. “So you’re treating me absolutely vile because I look like someone that’s in your life?” she asked, totally confused. “Yes, you look like a lying, cheating, skank that I know… I don’t care who you are, you look just like her, and you disgust me,” was the alleged response. Jealous woman roasted on TikTok After the video was posted, people couldn’t get over the customer’s behavior, writing: “I swear, I can’t watch these anymore, they literally infuriate me on the inside.” Some suggested that the waitress in question should have sought help from management, writing: “And that’s when I would tell my manager they need a new server and will no longer be my problem,” another wrote. “Owners and managers – Normalize telling these people to leave early on,” another agreed. Another TikToker went viral after they revealed how they’d made $300 in tips.

  • Waffle House customers throw drinks and signs at employees in massive brawl – Dexerto

Waffle House customers throw drinks and signs at employees in massive brawl Fox19, Simon Ray/UnsplashA Waffle House in Franklin, Ohio was the location for a recent brawl between customers and workers, which saw drinks and a wet floor sign being thrown over the counters. Waffle House’s reputation precedes itself. The 24-hour breakfast chain is known throughout the US for being the go-to spot after a night of heavy drinking, serving up calorie-dense meals for hungry partiers. However, in modern times, Waffle House seems to be better known for its fights than its coffee, with countless brawl videos taking place inside the chain. While some argue the fights are actually good for their business model, workers are often seen being the victims of the fights, making it a dangerous workplace, which resulted in workers petitioning for safer work environments. One of the most recent fights took place at 3am in Franklin, Ohio on January 21, but police have recently released more footage from the brawl in the hopes of identifying more people. Waffle House brawl sees customers throw things at workers Franklin Police released bodycam footage on January 25 from an incident at a local Waffle House in Ohio. Since then, they managed to identify three people who took part in the brawl but have now released new footage in hopes of identifying the final two individuals, Fox19 reported. The newly released video from inside the restaurant shows three people on each side of the register who look like they are recording videos and dancing at 3am on January 21, 2024, in Franklin, Ohio. Police report that when workers at the restaurant asked them to quiet down or leave, one of the women tossed a drink at a Waffle House employee. The video shows that drinks, napkin holders, sugar containers, and a wet floor sign were thrown over the counter at the employees by the customers. After releasing the video, local police say they’ve issued warrants for three of the people involved but they are still trying to identify two other women, according to Fox19. “We had this incident last month at a Waffle House and lots of video evidence. Sooner or later, it’s going to catch up to you like most things do and we’re not going to tolerate that kind of behavior in the city,” Franklin Police Chief Adam Colon said. They continued to say they’d filed warrants for Dayton locals Brittany Appleberry, Andrea Lovett, and Duane Hutchinson. The warrants are for various offenses, including assault, criminal damage, and failure to comply. The chief says the women they are still looking for have two options: turn themselves in and share their side of the story, or they can wait until officers find them.
