“Entitled” Starbucks customer rages at barista over $1.35 coffee charge – Dexerto
“Entitled” Starbucks customer rages at barista over $1.35 coffee charge Wikimedia CommonsIn a viral Reddit post, an ‘entitled’ Starbucks customer yelled at a barista who up-charged them for requesting extra milk. “It finally happened. I got screamed at by a customer today, over $1.35,’ the post begins, before the Starbucks barista goes on to explain exactly what happened. “Today, a man came into my store and ordered a grande flat white in a venti cup, and he wanted it topped off with half and half. I clarified with him that he wanted me to fill up the rest of his cup with half and half, and he said yes. That’s an extra four ounces of milk, so obviously I had to charge him for the additional milk.” It turns out, however, that the customer didn’t realize they would be charged extra, as the OP claims: “After taking his order, he asked for his receipt. He asked what the $1.35 upcharge was for, and I explained that because he asked for more than a 1/4” of extra milk, I had to charge him for it. He immediately started yelling at me, claiming he only wanted a splash of milk and demanding I refund him the $1.35.” As the barista’s store is located within Target, the policies regarding refunds are different. She claims all she could do was offer the customer a Target gift card in place of a refund. “He started yelling and swearing at me because he wanted cash and not a Target gift card. I tried explaining to him several times that I couldn’t just open the register and give him cash, and there was no way for me to refund his order with the Target POS. “After three minutes of swearing at me, he finally said, ‘I’ll just take the f**king gift card.’ Another case of an entitled customer trying to get a larger size without paying for it.” People can’t get over “entitled” Starbucks customer After the post was made on the platform, people couldn’t get over how rude the customer’s behavior was. “What an a**. I’m sorry you had to deal with that. But also, why on earth would somebody add that much cold milk to a flat white?! it would change the whole drink! (I’m not a barista but a flat white lover).” “Once you berate a Barista you should be banned for life. Jacka**,” another agreed. “At the end of the day, you just have to laugh that this man proudly walked away with a $1.35 gift card,’ one wrote, mocking the customer. “I would have just charged him for a Venti-that is what he ordered,” another barista stated boldly. Another Starbucks barista recently went viral, after they shared a heartwarming apology note they claim to have received from a customer who was rude to them.

Eggo launch ‘fully-loaded kicks’ sneaker line so that you can wear your waffles – Dexerto
Eggo launch ‘fully-loaded kicks’ sneaker line so that you can wear your waffles EggoEggo has unveiled its first-ever sneaker collection in collaboration with The Shoe Surgeon, and it’s like wearing nostalgia on your feet. The “fully-loaded kicks” collection has been designed by the custom footwear brand The Shoe Surgeon owned by Dominic Ciambrone, who has made trainers for some big names like Gucci, LeBron James, and Mike Tyson. These shoes are part of a wider launch that includes Eggo’s new Fully Loaded Waffles, which are like the toaster waffles from your childhood, but ten times better. The new waffles come in two flavors: Fully Loaded Chocolate Chip Brownie and Fully Loaded Strawberry Delight. The chocolate one has a chocolate batter and chocolate chips, and the strawberry one is made with strawberry-infused batter. On top of this, these waffles have 10 grams of protein per portion, so are designed to start your day off right. What better way to start your day than with waffles? Start it with waffles and an awesome pair of kicks on your feet. The sneakers are patterned with waffle-grid bottoms and come in two styles. The first one, like the chocolate waffles, is made of suede chocolate brown leather, and the second pair is tan caramel with pops of pink. The sneakers have some fun details too, like the drip down the side of the shoe that looks like syrup. Forget ‘the drip’, what about a syrup drip? Not only that, but the shoe has a zip stash pocket that’s the perfect size for a syrup packet, or any other condiment you might want to keep in your shoes. These shoes have a lot of fun details, including a cushioned collar that mimics the fluffiness of Eggo waffles. “I grew up eating Eggo waffles for breakfast and throughout the years have seen how influential the waffle-grid soles have become in this industry, so I’m excited to put our own twist on this iconic brand. I hope the fans appreciate the craftsmanship that went into hand-making these as much as they’ll enjoy the new flavor,” noted Ciambrone. If you want to purchase these sneakers, they’ll be available for $150 on Urban Necessities and each pair comes with both flavors of Fully Loaded Waffles. There will be three drops on May 17, May 24, and May 31, all at 12pm ET. On top of this, all proceeds from the shoes will go towards No Kid Hungry, a charity that aims to eradicate child hunger. Each pair of sneakers means 1,500 meals for kids in need. A stylish shoe, a clever collab, and a good cause – Eggo’s promotion game is on-point. If you’re a fan of food-inspired shoes, then you might want to get your hands on a pair of Pringles Crocs.

Dunkin’ Donuts sued over extra charges and internet supports it – Dexerto
Dunkin’ Donuts sued over extra charges and internet supports it Unsplash.com: Isabella FischerIn a video that’s gone viral on TikTok, as a woman explained the reason popular chain Dunkin’ Donuts is being sued, many people in the comments backed the litigation. Angela, who is a lawyer active on TikTok, broke down the whole situation: “Dunkin’ Donuts is being sued in a nationwide class action for those extra charges they’ve tacked on in the last four years for those of you who’ve ordered coffee and tea-based drinks and swapped out cow’s milk for non-dairy alternatives (like) soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, (and) oat milk,” she said. “See, these swaps are often made by people who have an intolerance to dairy or (a) milk allergy which, the lawsuit alleges, qualifies as a disability under the American Disabilities Act,” she continued. “The Act requires reasonable modifications for people with disabilities, and a surcharge may not be imposed to cover those costs.” “The lawsuit says that Dunkin’ currently charges $0.50 to $2.15 for this swap—up to 40% of the drink’s cost,” she adds on. TikTok users weigh in on Dunkin’ lawsuit Many people supported the legal action being made against the chain, having found themselves in frustrating situations because of the extra charges: “The worst is when I had a free drink at Dunkin’ and they charged me just for the almond milk,” one wrote. “OMG they sometimes also make it with regular milk despite asking for a swap and then you become a rocket and you still have to pay more for it,” another stated. Some, however, argued that this issue wasn’t just exclusive to Dunkin’, but many fast food chains: “EVERYWHERE charges more for it. Will this lawsuit give way for other companies to be sued for it as well?” “Everywhere charges more for a non-dairy option, it’s almost always 50¢ so are they gonna sue every coffee shop ever?” another concurred. Walmart are also being sued by a man who has demanded unlimited lifetime shopping from the chain.

Dunkin’ Donuts worker goes viral for sharing how much she eats during shift – Dexerto
Dunkin’ Donuts worker goes viral for sharing how much she eats during shift TikTok: avanireyesA Dunkin’ Donuts worker ate loads of food during her shift, causing TikTok to not only crave the food but also want to work there. Working at an establishment where they feed you without you needing to pay for the food is always a plus. Luckily, that’s the case for Avani, who works at Dunkin’ Donuts where she has a menu full of options to choose from. Sharing exactly what she ate in a full day of work, Avani has now gone viral for the amount she ate for free. Dunkin’ Donuts worker indulges in at least eight free drinks during her shift Avani began her work day at Dunkin’ Donuts eating her own assortment of breakfast items. Starting with a cinnamon raisin bagel with cheddar cheese and bacon, you could see the melted butter drip as she started her feast. Avani then moved on to extra bacon and not one, not two, but three coffees — a hot, cold, and frozen coffee, all of which included brown sugar cookie syrup. She then drank a blue raspberry coolatta, and it wasn’t small. After that, Avani had some hash browns and even more bacon. Then it was time for a chicken chorizo wrap, another bagel, more hash browns, a cheddar and bacon wake-up wrap, multiple donuts, a corn muffin, and four more beverages. Avani was also given a piece of pizza and a Diet Pepsi from a customer during her shift. She then went on to eat even more food at home. Viewers of Avani’s viral video of what she ate in a full workday expressed how she influenced them to want to work at Dunkin’ Donuts so they could eat just as much. Some viewers also commented on the amount she ate and drank, saying, “Can you sleep at night? Too much caffeine.” And, “Diabetes calling your name.” Many people also said they’d be sick from eating and drinking so much food. However, Avani’s personal Dunkin’s buffet isn’t a one-time occurrence, making even more viewers shocked to see the large amount of food and drinks she’s consumed on a daily basis.

Dunkin’ Donuts keep serving customers after car crashes through window – Dexerto
Dunkin’ Donuts keep serving customers after car crashes through window ABC7Popular fast food chain Dunkin’ Donuts has gone viral, after workers at the chain kept on serving customers even after a car crashed through one store’s window. A Dunkin’ on the North Side kept Chicago running Thursday morning, even after a car crashed into it. The car in question crashed into the Uptown Dunkin’, which is located on the 4500-block of North Broadway. There’s no report yet as to why the car crashed through the Dunkin’. Despite the shocking scenes visible in the news report, only one person was injured, and they were said to be in good condtion before they left to recieve treatment at the hospital. When questioned by reporters whether or not they were okay, the Dunkin’ customers said that they were fine, and the Building and Health department were also called to the scene. In a turn of events, even after the car crashed through the Chicago Dunkin’, the workers didn’t leave their posts, and continued to hand out coffee and doughnuts to customers. The reporter herself even ordered food from the chain, and the worker can be seen calling out her number, before handing her over a brown paper bag and returning to the store. “Look at that, order ahead, pick it up,” she says. In another Dunkin’ news, a woman went viral in March after she shared an image of a bagel she’d received from the chain, and the internet said that ‘nothing could prepare them,’ for what they saw.

Dunkin Donuts’ customer reveals how to get half-price coffee every time – Dexerto
Dunkin Donuts’ customer reveals how to get half-price coffee every time TikTok: @asstograss / FlickrA woman has gone viral after she revealed how she managed to get her coffee for cheap every time she visited Dunkin’, and customers were amazed by the hack. Jocelyn took to TikTok to share her tip, in a bid to save fellow customers some money on future purchases. The hack? Purchasing a reusable Dunkin’ coffee cup to take with you when you visit the chain. She filmed the video while sat in her car, clutching the pink Dunkin’ tumbler that was filled with iced coffee. “Had to call you out Sandra,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “Cause how dare you not tell me and save me some money!” In the video, she addressed users: “To my Dunkin’ friend, why didn’t you ever tell me that I could buy this f***ng cup and get half the price for a f***ing coffee this whole f***ing time, Sandra?” Since it was posted at the beginning of September, it’s gone on to gain almost 400,000 views. People were equally amazed to discover the deal, writing in the comments section: “Bruh I been wasting so much money and thank you for this.” “Waiiiiit hold on. Is this every time you go?” one asked, to which the creator replied that yes, the deal was available on every visit. Some already knew about the deal, and had been taking advantage of it for a while: ”I thought y’all knew this if y’all bring your refill cups (doesn’t have to be a Dunkin’ cup) but you get charged way less… been like this for well over a decade” “Well. I was yesterday old when I found out and that’s because they put a sign out,” Jocelyn responded. One user, however, said that the deal wasn’t available at her local Dunkin’, which may suggest that it’s only available at certain locations: “I bought a cup and they don’t do ½.” As things stand, it might be the case that Dunkin’ only offer this deal at their select ‘Green Stores.’ These stores first opened back in 2008, and include “’green’ initiatives such as innovative recycling programs like worm casting and food donations to the local food bank.” In addition to this, Green Dunkin’ Donuts stores also partake in something called the ‘Reusable Mug Program.’ “Customers are encouraged to bring their own mug, and will receive a discount toward the purchase of a beverage.” Dunkin’ isn’t the only chain to offer customers discounts on reusable cups. Both Starbucks and Tim Horton’s, two of America’s most popular coffee chains, offer $0.10 discounts for customers who bring a personal cup to stores. If you’re on the hunt for more reusable cups to add to your collection, Starbucks have released their fall 2024 line, and it includes the return of the iconic slime drip cup.

Dunkin’ collabs with country music superstar Jelly Roll to celebrate National Donut Day – Dexerto
Dunkin’ collabs with country music superstar Jelly Roll to celebrate National Donut Day Dunkin’June 7 is National Donut Day, and to celebrate, Dunkin’ have collaborated with Grammy-nominated country artist, Jelly Roll. With a name inspired by a classic donut, this collab makes perfect sense. Jelly Roll is so obsessed with donuts, that he named himself after one. The country star has made a video with Dunkin’ sharing his expert donut advice. As well as that, the brand has dropped an entire donut and Jelly inspired merch line just in time for the big day. Jelly Roll states that growing up donuts were his kryptonite, and that his Mom used to say he was so sweet, he could “open up his own Dunkin’.” In the video, the country superstar shows us the best techniques for dunking your donuts in your coffee, which he states is a quintessential part of the eating experience. He has two dunking styles, one he calls ‘The Bunny Dunk’ and a more zealous one called ‘The Nash Smash’. Not only that, but he even promotes sharing a bite with your dog. If you didn’t know already, Dunkin’ are big dog lovers, and even have their own pet range. As Jelly Roll says, “Life’s better with a little jelly in it,” and to prove this point, Dunkin’s new merch for the big day is now available to purchase online at ShopDunkin.com. The collection includes t-shirts and hoodies for Dunkin’s biggest loyalists to rep all year long. “Jelly” Hoodie ($40) – A super soft pink hoodie, perfect for jelly donut lover – who don’t even have to be named after a jelly donut to rock it! – “Grab a Glazed” Hoodie ($40) – This soft, white hoodie was first spotted in the brand’s “Popstar” commercial that aired during the GRAMMYs earlier this year. – Donut Tees ($30) – Inspired by concert tees, two t-shirts feature Dunkin’s classic Chocolate Glazed Donut with Sprinkles. National Donut Day is a special day for us because it’s all about celebrating that love and obsession.” But, it wouldn’t be National Donut Day without some actual donuts, and Dunkin’ will be giving out millions of free donuts on the big day.

Drug-infested New York City Burger King faces $15 million lawsuit – Dexerto
Drug-infested New York City Burger King faces $15 million lawsuit Unsplash: Kseniia IlinykhA Burger King in New York City has been hit with a $15 million lawsuit over claims the restaurant has turned into an ‘open-air drug bazaar.’ A Burger King at 106 Fulton Street in New York City has been slapped with a $15 million lawsuit after an angry neighbor had enough of drug dealers and users running rampant. 69-year-old filmmaker Kevin Kaufman, whose credits include The Real Housewives of Orange County season 1, filed a lawsuit with the Manhattan Supreme Court after having lived 20 years on the block. According to Kaufman, the owner of the Burger King in question, Lalmir Sultanzada, is at fault for turning “Fulton Street into an open-air drug bazaar” by failing to take responsibility for the happenings taking place at his restaurant. The New York Post reported that the NYPD had received 143 calls related to the Burger King’s address since the start of 2023, though only two arrests were made. Quality of life complaints remain a real concern to residents in all city neighborhoods,” a department spokesman said. “The NYPD deploys our officers where crime is reported in response to community complaints and will continue to address these conditions as the public demands and expects we should.” However, Kaufman feels it should not be the police’s responsibility to clean up after Sultanzada; “He doesn’t take responsibility, he throws it on the lap of the cops instead of hiring security himself and policing his own store.” “Fulton Street is now a neighborhood in crisis,” court papers obtained by the Post read. According to Kaufman, frequent visitors of the fast food chain include “professional drug dealers who have long criminal records and are well known among local law enforcement.” Other neighbors have also spoken up about the issue, with one stating, “This is around the corner from the mayor, his office is right there, and it’s like ‘Dude, clean up your neighborhood.’” Despite the lawsuit and backlash from locals, however, Sultanzada told the Post he isn’t to blame; “It’s not me. Go talk with the government, talk with the police department, talk with the mayor, talk with the governor. They have to find a solution for those bums, not me.”

Dr Pepper & Krispy Kreme 2024 football collab leaked – Dexerto
Dr Pepper & Krispy Kreme 2024 football collab leaked Krispy Kreme / Dr PepperInstagram food blogger Markie Devo is notorious for sharing fast food menu leaks weeks before they are released, and now, an anticipated Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper collab could be coming our way in August. The chain was one of the first to bring back pumpkin spice this year on August 12, but this leak suggests that Krispy Kreme isn’t done with August releases yet. The football season is due to start on August 24, and these sports-themed treats are the perfect way to kick off. An image was posted on Devo’s Instagram which teased the collaboration between Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper, and since he credits a Krispy Kreme employee with the source, we can assume this leak is pretty reliable. The new Dr Pepper x Krispy Kreme collab lineup will include: Kreme-filled football: This is an unglazed donut filled with white creme and dipped in chocolate icing. It’s decorated with white piping to look like a football. – Buttercreme goals: An original glazed donut with green icing, rainbow sprinkles, and a yellow buttercream goalpost. – Dr Pepper Kickoff: An original glazed donut topped with Dr Pepper cream, red and white sprinkles, and a chocolate Dr Pepper logo. – The poster includes a photo of a Dr Pepper fountain drink, although the lineup doesn’t make it clear whether Krispy Kreme branches will start serving Dr Pepper, too. Krispy Kreme fans on Instagram were shocked to see news of another drop so soon, with someone commenting, “These past few days have really just been a lesson. Expect the unexpected, or you’ll find it in your next meal.” Others were going crazy over the announcement, saying, “I need this in my life right now,” and “How many times can I hit a like button?” Others, however, were skeptical, noting: “I love Dr Pepper so much, but this is such a lazy collab OMG How is there not something Dr Pepper flavored on every donut?!” Details of when this release will be in stores, or how long it will stick around for, is not yet clear. This isn’t the only sweet treat and soda collab that is getting the internet excited this week: Oreo and Coca-Cola have just announced their ‘Besties’ collab that includes Oreo-flavored Coze Zero, and Coca-Cola-flavored Oreo cookies.

Driver ends up with “very expensive lunch” after getting a ticket for using rewards app at drive-thru – Dexerto
Driver ends up with “very expensive lunch” after getting a ticket for using rewards app at drive-thru CTV News / CNBCA Canadian man has ended up with a cellphone ticket after using McDonald’s app for a free lunch at his local drive-thru. The driver, from Saskatoon in Canada, left work to go and grab a quick lunch. He had wanted to use a free meal that he had earned on his McDonald’s app and stated that he was, “barely even moving, just rolling,” when he looked in his rearview mirror to find a motorcycle cop. The driver stated that he showed the officer his phone to convince him that he was just loading up his rewards app, and he was certain that at this point, the police officer would let him go. However, it turned out to be a “very expensive lunch” as the police officer went on to fine him $580 for the offence. According to a local criminal defence lawyer who appeared on a Canadian News network, there is a grey area surrounding these traffic laws: “I feel sorry for this individual if he was in fact at a drive-thru and not on a public roadway.” However, he did comment that he was not familiar with all the ins and outs of the case. He also went on to say that regardless of the details, ticketing people in drive-thru queues doesn’t seem to be a very good use of police resources. In the US and Canada, typical road traffic laws (apart from being intoxicated at the wheel) don’t apply to drive-thrus as they are technically ‘private roads’, so the usage of phones isn’t illegal. McDonald’s have not commented on this particular situation, but have this statement on their website: “If you are travelling alone in your vehicle, please ensure that you pull over to a suitable, safe place, stop, and switch off your engine before using McDonald’s app.” “When collecting at Drive Thru there is no need for you to touch your phone.” The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) in Saskatoon disagreed with Prima’s version of events, stating: “RCMP can confirm that on May 13, 2024 the individual was observed driving a vehicle on a public roadway while using a cellphone.” “An officer initiated a traffic stop with the individual. The individual then pulled in the McDonald’s parking lot, where the traffic violation was issued.” This statement from the police would suggest that he was in fact using a public road when stopped by police, and then pulled into a McDonald’s parking lot afterwards. According to Canadian news, he intends to fight this fine and will appear in court on July 31st, 2024 to plead his case. It’s not often that you hear of someone receiving a fine for driving to get fast food, but if you want to avoid the risk altogether, why not board the KFC gravy train instead instead?

Doritos announce Nacho Cheese liquor and people don’t know how to feel – Dexerto
Doritos announce Nacho Cheese liquor and people don’t know how to feel EmpiricalDoritos have announced a new Nacho Cheese liquor, and fans are feeling torn. We’ve seen some pretty bizarre releases from food brands this holiday season. Take the burger-shaped human dog bed released by Burger King, for one. But, perhaps one of the strangest announcements comes from Doritos, who have announced that they’re releasing an alcoholic Nacho Cheese Spirit for fans to try. This comes after a collaboration with liquor brand, Empirical, with the essence of Dorito’s classic Nacho Cheese flavor being extracted through vacuum distillation. Commenting on the new release, the brand’s Senior Vice President of Marketing said: “Doritos is all about disrupting culture and bringing our fans unexpected, bold experiences… We’re always pushing our fans to try new things, so we figure it’s time we disrupt the spirits category by offering our iconic nacho cheese flavor in a bottle.” People unsure about Doritos Nacho Cheese liquor After the brand created an Instagram post advertising their new Nacho Cheese liquor, fans were taken aback by the creation. Some were excited by the release, commenting that they “Could not wait,” and that they’ll “Definitely grab a bottle of this.” One even said, “I don’t even drink alcohol, but man the Doritos drink looks real good.” However, the majority of comments appeared skeptical. “Why would you want to drink Doritos,” one confused commenter asked. “Yall have lost your f**king minds,” another wrote. One independent distiller was disappointed by Dorito’s, implying that they were out for a quick cash grab: “I’m a fan of your work/flavor but as a bleeding heart who has gone the hard road for the past decade to make agriculturally focused whiskey sourced only from small regen farms… This kinda bums me out from a bad ag/corporate/labor issues perspective… obvi you all are doing fine and didn’t ask but anyway… welcome to the US!” This product will be officially released in January for $65, but fans can preorder them as of December 13, by visiting the website.

Doritos launch zero-gravity chips that are out of this world – Dexerto
Doritos launch zero-gravity chips that are out of this world DoritosDoritos has launched a new version of their cool ranch tortilla chips that are designed to be taken as a snack anywhere, even into space. Sure you’ve heard of space ice cream, but what about a savory snack too? Doritos has finally made snacking on the moon an actual possibility with a chip that will withstand being taken into orbit. These limited-edition Doritos mini Cool Ranch Zero Gravity flavored tortilla chips come in a sleek blue tube that looks a bit like a spaceship and is specifically designed to be consumed when you’re floating in space. Not only do they prevent the all-important ranch dust from floating off, but they are also mini-sized so that they can be eaten in one bite without having to worry about crumbs floating around you. The chips themselves will actually be going to space too, because they are set to join the astronauts on Elon Musk‘s SpaceX mission Polaris Dawn. Polaris Dawn will see four private citizens orbit Earth in SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft for five days, during which a series of experiments will be conducted, including the first-ever commercial spacewalk. Even if you aren’t going into space, some earthlings will get the chance to taste these out-of-this-world snacks. To get into the running to get your hands on the chips, all you need to do is donate to St. Jude’s Hospital, a charity that Doritos has made a large donation to help find medical cures. While the chips are packaged in space-approved tins for the flight that look like a mints tin, the earthbound chips are packaged similarly to the minis that are already on the market. However, there is one cool modification. The tin is enhanced with glow-in-the-dark features to give the can that space feel, just like those stars on your bedroom ceiling. This isn’t the only epic snack release on the horizon; Oreo and Coca-Cola have teamed up to make a cookie-flavored soda, and a soda-flavored cookie.

Dorito’s launch bizarre coffee-flavoured chips – Dexerto
Dorito’s launch bizarre coffee-flavoured chips TikTok: @angeeatsDoritos have brought out a new flavor, and it’s a little on the strange side, being more suitable as a breakfast drink than a bag of chips. Doritos have been known to come up with some pretty weird and wacky releases in the past. In December 2023, they brought out a nacho cheese flavor liquor modeled after the classic flavor, ready for the gifting season. Now, just in time for summer, the brand has come up with a debatably weirder creation, coffee-flavored chips. If you’re an avid coffee drinker and are eager to try out the new flavor, then you might need to take a trip overseas, as they’re only being released in Australia. It’s being released down under to reflect the country’s immense love of coffee. According to a survey, 75% of Australians will drink at least one cup of coffee a day, and 28% of people in the country will have three or more. Doritos are reflecting this passion for caffeine, and giving away 300 packs of the new flavor to some lucky customers who engage with a social media post advertising the new creation. If you want to satiate your curiosity regarding what the new flavor tastes like, TikToker @angeeats managed to grab a bag early and create a review. His consensus was, “This is interesting. Kind of like a cinnamon-ey, coffee taste. Salty. That one was better. That one had more coffee on it. This is good. They’ve done very well with these. Great coffee, cinnamon, sweet taste.” Another bizarre food combination is going viral, with people putting ketchup on their KitKats.

In a video that’s reached over 250,000 views, a TikToker named Danny shared a bizarre experience, after they’d been made to crawl under a gate to deliver an order, despite the customer failing to leave a code. “You know when you’re like, DoorDashing and they’re like, ‘Leave it at my door,’ but then there’s a gate… You really expect us to just be doing this … for a $2.50 tip?” They asked, before adding, “What do you mean, ‘Leave it at my door?’ There’s a gate, no code.” “To be doing this for a $2.50 tip,” the video’s text overlay reads. TikTok sympathizes with DoorDasher After the video was posted on the platform, it quickly went viral, with people eager to weigh in on the situation. Many could empathize with the Dasher’s plight, having experienced similar situations: “That happened to me and there was no way to open the gate so I left it outside the gate.” “For real. I was a Pizza Hut delivery driver and my gosh, I have some stories like this.” Some however, had experienced poor delivery service in the past, and suggested that no matter how precise the instructions were, drivers had still failed in delivering their order: “But to be fair I give my drivers very easy and precise instructions on how to buzz into my building and they still can’t get it right.” Many were simply amused by how the TikToker entered below the gate, writing: “I’m sorry but you handled that way too easy though.”

DoorDash responds after woman’s embarrassing delivery photo goes viral TikTok: amelias_authorA woman shared an embarrassing photo that her DoorDash delivery driver took of her, and viewers can’t stop laughing. TikToker Amelia shared the recent and embarrassing photo a DoorDash delivery driver took of her upon their delivery. Before it was deleted, the TikTok on her amelias_author account had over 7 million views. In the photo, it looks as if Amelia isn’t wearing pants, and she also noted in her comments that she was “so scared” and that she grew “three chins.” After taking the photo, Amelia recalled that the driver scurried away, giggling while giving her the thumbs up. While some viewers questioned whether the DoorDash driver had previously caught people in awkward moments, many others expressed how funny they thought the photo was. For those who haven’t seen it because the original video was deleted, here’s the original photo in all its glory: “I would genuinely frame this and show everybody who came to my door, that’s hilarious,” wrote one viewer. “I just cackled so loudly! DoorDasher reveals “genius” money-making hack for delivery drivers – Dexerto
DoorDasher reveals “genius” money-making hack for delivery drivers Instagram: abuelastacos, TikTok: lom.simplyA Dasher shared what TikTok viewers are calling a “genius” hack for all delivery drivers who work for the company. Though one of the main perks of working for DoorDash is being able to pick and choose the times you deliver orders, TikToker ‘lom.simply’ just revealed another advantage of being a driver for the company. In a viral TikTok shared by Lom this August, she walked her followers through her money-making hack as a DoorDash driver. For starters, she placed an order through the app. Thinking that another driver would pick it up, as she wasn’t working at that time, Lom waited… and waited some more. When it took too long to be delivered, Lom, who is paid $11.75 an hour for her DoorDash job, decided to pick up her Papa John’s Pizza herself. She then made sure she was logged into her app as a Dasher and selected her order. Lom then drove and picked up her own order as if it were any other random customers. In doing so, the TikToker made money from being her own Dasher. Not only that but after she returned home with her food, she gave herself a 5-star rating. Viewers of her “genius” hack were impressed by her smart thinking and applauded her for essentially eating a free meal. “Got paid to get lunch. I love it when a plan comes together,” commented one. “You’re on to something,” said another. Other viewers shared how they’ve done the same thing as delivery drivers for DoorDash and UberEats. “No because I ordered Burger King when I finished delivering, went outside the store and accepted my own order, picked it up, and went home,” wrote one. In April, another Dasher went viral for saying they made more money than the bosses of those who criticized them for not having a ‘real job.’ They said that not only do they have control over how much they can make while Dashing, but they also said they have far fewer taxes to pay at the end of the year, resulting in more money in their pocket.

DoorDash driver refuses to drop off order after ‘leave at door’ request – Dexerto
DoorDash driver refuses to drop off order after ‘leave at door’ request TIKTOK: rebeccarogersofficialA woman took to TikTok to share how her friend’s DoorDash driver refused to leave her order at the door, and cursed her out for not grabbing it from him. In a viral TikTok, Rebecca (rebeccarogersofficial) shared a story her friend told her of a DoorDasher who demanded that she pick ups her order from him personally, instead of dropping it off at her door. “My friend ordered DoorDash,” she said in the clip. “The driver calls her, she answers assuming there’s a problem, maybe he’s lost. The guy says, ‘Hey, I have your food, I’m here.’ She said, ‘OK, you can leave it at the door.’ [He says] ‘But like, I’m here, you’re not just going to come get it from me?’” Her friend then asked if she’d accidentally placed a hand-off order, requiring the driver to deliver it to her directly. He replied that she hadn’t, but said the “least she could do” would be to open her door and take the order from him. “She said, ‘Well, I marked it ‘leave at door,’ so handing it to me isn’t part of your job,’” the TikToker continued. “He says, ‘I can’t believe you’re wasting my time like this, you effing b-word.’” When her friend went to grab the food from the door, it looked like the bag was tossed down. “She asked me, ‘Was I being difficult? Should I have just gone to the door like he wanted?’” Rebecca recounted. “Girl, no. A random strange man at your door having a temper tantrum that you won’t come out and interact with him?” she said. “That sounds so dangerous.” Viewers agreed with Rebecca, with many sharing their own similar stories. “I had a lady keep ringing my doorbell and refused to leave my food at the door, even though I marked no contact and stated that I was in quarantine,” one person commented. “No because my DoorDasher took a picture to confirm my food and it was of my house not the food and he wanted me to come outside,” another shared. Others said the driver probably wanted a tip. “It sounds like he wanted a cash tip,” one user wrote. “I think they are waiting for a cash tip. Never used the service (rural area) but I’ve heard about complaints from drivers not getting cash tips,” another added.

DoorDash driver reveals viral hack to make extra cash – Dexerto
DoorDash driver reveals viral hack to make extra cash TikTok: @kameronstpierreA DoorDash driver went viral when they revealed a hack they’d discovered that allowed them to pocket some extra cash, and people were divided. A DoorDasher named Kameron went viral on TikTok after she uploaded a video of her picking up an order from Chilis. The text overlay on the video did most of the explaining behind Kameron’s ‘hack,’ as it simply reads, “When I DoorDashed Chili’s but I’m a Dasher and picked it up myself so I basically tipped myself.” By picking up the order herself, Kameron managed to avoid the tip being granted to another DoorDasher. “IDK if this was a win or not,” she wrote in the caption. After the video was posted on the platform, it went on to gain over two million views, and people were eager to debate Kameron’s “win.” “You quite literally paid more than just getting it yourself,” one said, clearly unimpressed. “Depends on what really happened,” one user wrote. “Doordash has a pickup option that I think is discounted for drivers so that’s most likely what happened instead of ordering for delivery and picking it up herself.” However, this might not actually be the case, as one user said “Dude, DoorDash is a business, not a charity. The driver won’t make more than the customer pays to DoorDash.” Another DoorDasher went viral back in November, when they chose to eat a customer’s food after they didn’t leave him a tip.

DoorDash driver perplexed by bizarre delivery note left by US Navy vet – Dexerto
DoorDash driver perplexed by bizarre delivery note left by US Navy vet NewsWeekA DoorDash driver has been left shocked after a customer left a threatening note with his Chili’s order. The message asked that the delivery driver does not knock their door, or they will phone the police. The people of the internet were divided, with some suggesting that this could be to do with PTSD, and others suggesting it was just downright uncalled for. Either way, this is not what you would expect to see out on a DoorDash run and the driver’s response was simply, “LOL okay buddy.” A reasonable request or completely uncalled for? This DoorDash driver was picking up orders as usual, but when they picked up this Chili’s order, they were perplexed by what they saw on the order notes: The customer in question states that they would like for the food to be left at their door, which is a common request that DoorDash drivers see on the daily. However, things get a little intense when the customer types in all caps that they will phone the police if the delivery driver knocks. The fact that the customer mentions that they are a US Navy vet made some people in the comments wonder if this was because the customer had PTSD and wanted to avoid the loud noise of the knock. Another DoorDash driver commented, “I never knock unless it specifically asks me to. Why is following directions and respecting others so hard?” However, some former veterans have also weighed in, with one saying, “As a vet myself….uh no. It’s a knock or doorbell not mortar fire. Get a hold of yourself.” Whether you think this was called for or not, it is not clear whether the driver knocked or the police were actually called. Either way though, the DoorDash driver was definitely caught off-guard by this threatening message from a customer.

DoorDash driver confronts customer who got him fired – Dexerto
DoorDash driver confronts customer who got him fired Unsplash: marques thomasA video of a DoorDash driver confronting a customer whose complaint apparently led to him being terminated from the job has resurfaced, and the internet is still unsure of it all. Clashes between delivery drivers and customers have been going viral on TikTok for quite some time, as viewers are always interested in seeing how things play out. One of the most infamous clips involves a DoorDash worker approaching a customer who allegedly got him fired. The video begins with the worker walking into the building, and telling the woman in question “I delivered food here yesterday from Chipotle, and you put down that I didn’t deliver it to you.” The delivery had seemingly been made to a work-based building, and he recognized the woman who supposedly gave him the poor rating. DoorDash driver threatens to call the cops Things heated up, and the DoorDash driver eventually brought the woman into frame. His voice is clearly trembling, and he tells her: “This is my only source of income, I do this every day. Now I’m fired from my job, because you want your ten dollar burrito?” he asks. He continues: “Are you out of your mind? Who does this? Who raised you?” The man then prompts the woman for her corporate number, and to speak to her manager. He says: “I need to get your a** fired.” The woman finally responds to him saying that she will contact DoorDash. “Yeah, you wanna’ tell them you got your food?” he asks. All the while, another person enters the building, and the woman again ignores the DoorDash driver. The driver even took a swipe at the woman’s manager after he got involved in things. “It’s ‘cause of her,” he says. Again, he repeats to the manager, “You have thieves working here.” Underneath the video, which sparked a slew of comments, users were quick to criticize the system at DoorDash, with one writing: “The real problem here is the power dynamic between the worker and the platform.” “DoorDash has left the power of feedback and consequences directly with the customers. So now when real workers make deliveries they are at the mercy of the people who ordered.” Another offered a solution: “Call the cops and demand the organization show camera footage.” This isn’t the first time DoorDash drivers have experienced controversy, as one worker apparently texted a customer, “It’s part of life,” after delivering the order to the wrong address.

DoorDash driver eats customer’s food after they didn’t leave tip – Dexerto
DoorDash driver eats customer’s food after they didn’t leave tip TikTok: @SidehustleaddictA DoorDash driver caused a debate after admitting to eating a customer’s food who didn’t tip him. In a video that’s gone viral on TikTok, a delivery driver posted a video of himself eating the food of a customer who didn’t tip him. The standard tip size in the United States had stood at around 20% for a while, but this has experienced a decline in the past couple of years. In addition, using services like DoorDash are commonplace for many, and so whether or not tipping is required is up for debate. The delivery driver in the viral video can be seen searching through the bag containing the customer’s order. “Oh s**t, look what we got today, fam, haha!” he says. “A DoorDash non-tipper again.” “Apparently these DoorDash non-tippers didn’t understand – let’s see what he’s got in the bag… You know, I be telling these DoorDash non-tippers, right, no tip, I eat!” He then proceeds to take a big bite of the customer’s food. Mixed reaction to eating customer’s food who didn’t tip The video prompted a very mixed reaction from viewers. Some were in support of the DoorDash delivery man, calling him a “Genius.” Another could sympathize with him, saying, “Exactly how I feel when I dash. I love your videos. keep it up man.” However, many were also opposed to his actions, and thought the worker was wrong for eating the customer’s food: “So glad I live in a country where we don’t need to tip because imagine being pissed off at the customers and not the company.” Another thought the driver’s actions were odd: “Weird that he’s doing this? Many people prefer to tip with cash or a cash app when the food is delivered. That way the driver gets to keep all the money.” Another DoorDash driver caused a stir when he confronted the customer who got him fired.

DoorDash driver claims he “makes more than your boss” after being told to get a ‘real job’ – Dexerto
DoorDash driver claims he “makes more than your boss” after being told to get a ‘real job’ DoorDashA DoorDash driver went viral after they were told to get a ‘real job.’ They clapped back saying that they actually made “more money than your boss.” “Why would I get a real job when I make more than your boss? You see W-2ers like this are brainwashed into thinking, ‘Oh just because he does DoorDash [he] probably doesn’t make a lot of money.’ But at the end of the day, not only do I make more than your boss, I pay far less taxes than you,” they wrote in the video’s text overlay. This came after people called him out, and told him to get a ‘real job.’ “When we get an order in it shows the base pay and the tip on there, so we can choose to accept it or decline it,” EVdash said in the video. “So yeah, technically we’re still working for tips, but at the end of the day, we only accept the orders that are actually worth our time.” On the DoorDash website, they claim workers receive 100% of the tips they are given, alongside their base pay and promotions. The whole thing became a hot topic after the video was posted, with many people sceptical of the TikToker’s claims. “Take it down like 20 notches,” one commented. “I don’t think you have a clue about how much people actually make.” “I don’t think you have a clue how much WE make,” the poster wrote back. “You don’t make more than my boss,” another said. “I promise if DoorDash paid 200k a year, we would all do it,” they clapped back. One defended the video’s poster however, and wrote: “I never understand when someone says ‘Get a real job’— anything you get paid to do is a job.” Another DoorDash driver went viral when they decided to eat a customer’s food after they didn’t tip.

DoorDash driver bails when expected to climb nine flights of stairs for $1 tip – Dexerto
DoorDash driver bails when expected to climb nine flights of stairs for $1 tip DoorDashA DoorDash driver refused to deliver an order to a customer’s door, after they found out they’d only been tipped one dollar. DoorDash is an app that allows customers to have food and groceries delivered directly to their door. When using the app, customers will have the option of tipping their driver, though this isn’t a requisite. Despite this, it’s considered common etiquette to tip your driver, with expert Thomas Farley, recommending that customer’s tip at least 20%. This isn’t always the case, however. In a viral video that’s resurfaced, we see a TikToker explain a situation that happened between a customer and an employee: “This DoorDash customer requested drop off at their apartment which was on the ninth floor. They provided a tip of one dollar to their dasher. When the dasher left the food at the front desk of the building the customer said this is not the location I requested.” “To which the Dasher responded and said the elevators are unfortunately out of service for emergency repairs.” “They have stairs,” the customer wrote. The TikToker then prompts her viewers to discuss the situation, asking if they’d be happy to walk up nine flights of stairs for a one-dollar tip. TikTok viewers debate viral $1 tip situation TikTok were happy to weigh in on the situation, and as is common, had very divisive opinions. One wrote: “I was a dasher, and my job is to get the customer their food – tip or not. I’d walk up the stairs and hope they enjoyed their delivery experience.” Another simply stated: “Its a JOB.” However, the majority favored the delivery driver, saying: “I dash and I get enough exercise delivering! for $1 hell nah I wouldn’t on the 9th floor that’s insane.” Another concurred, “I wouldn’t walk up 9 flights of stairs to go to my own dang home let alone some rando lol.” DoorDash drivers are often the subject of tipping quandaries. Another worker went viral in November for eating the customer’s food after they didn’t tip him.

DoorDash driver breaks down after being given $80 ticket for parking in “free” space – Dexerto
DoorDash driver breaks down after being given $80 ticket for parking in “free” space TikTok: @vicosevenA DoorDash driver went viral after she was charged $80 for parking in a “free” space while they made their delivery. The worst part is that she was only tipped $1. TikToker Vico has gained a big following on the platform. He regularly posts reactions to viral videos, and in one of his newer uploads, he showed DoorDash driver receiving a $80 ticket for parking in a space she thought was free. This DoorDash driver pulled up to her destination … and parked in what she thought was a free space. Goes up to the fifth floor, comes back down to find an $80 ticket from the cops. And the customer only tipped her $1… How is that fair?” he asks, relaying the situation. The video then cuts to the DooDasher in question, who says: “I didn’t wanna pay to park because I can’t afford to pay to park, OK? I was only gonna be gone for like, four or five minutes. So I found this parking lot. It didn’t say anything about paying. “If you know, you work in a fucking building where there’s no parking. Meet the doordash person outside… Do you know how long it’s gonna take to make $80? Like, 80 extra dollars through DoorDash… She tipped me a dollar.” People sympathize with DoorDash driver After Vic shared the video, people were quick to sympathize with the DoorDasher’s plight, with many noting the unfairness of the situation. “Government buildings that have several floors need a few spots for food delivery,” one demanded. “Same thing happened to me that’s why I don’t do DoorDash anymore. I feel her pain.” “I always make the customer come down to me if I have nowhere to park. Communication is the key,” another advised. Some however, were unsympathetic, and said that the worker should have been more astute: “She should have made sure she was in a safe parking spot. How is that anyone’s fault but her own. She just said she didn’t wanna pay.” Another DoorDash worker went viral, after they ate a customer’s food order because they didn’t tip.

DoorDash customer mortified after finding dead cockroach in her bubble tea – Dexerto
DoorDash customer mortified after finding dead cockroach in her bubble tea TikTok: angelababiczA DoorDash customer was left dry-retching in disgust after discovering her bubble tea contained a dead cockroach. DoorDash is beloved by many, bringing orders straight to customers’ front door without them ever having to leave the comfort of their homes. However, not all orders go as planned. Previous incidents with the food delivery app have included a Dasher eating the customer’s order in their driveway and another who cursed at their customer for not coming out to pick up her order. Now, DoorDash is copping the blame for a very different reason after one woman found her bubble tea order included a dead cockroach floating inside. Angela Babicz took to her TikTok account to share the horrifying discovery, placing the blame on DoorDash by warning them to “count your days.” Having ordered a bubble tea from Oishi Sushi, Angela said in between dry-retches, “There were no bubbles in it, but do you know what was in it? Do you know what the f*** is in it? A dead roach.” A follow-up TikTok revealed Angela found another cockroach after pouring out the drink, with her demanding DoorDash remove Oishi Sushi from their app. Users on TikTok were quick to point out that DoorDash should not be held responsible for Oishi Sushi’s blunder; “Girl you need to call the restaurant, don’t blame DoorDash. How’s the driver supposed to know?” But according to Angela, the company still has some explaining to do. She said, “The reason I’m blaming DoorDash as well is because I had called them even before posting that TikTok. It took me like 15 minutes to actually be able to speak to a real live person.” “When I did speak to somebody, she asked me if a refund was ok or if I wanted to escalate the situation,” Angela continued, explaining she opted for the second option as the dead cockroach was a “health and safety hazard.” Nonetheless, Angela was still only offered a refund by DoorDash; “For me, it’s not about the money, that’s the very least that they can do… but how can we correct this? What’s the point of transferring me to an escalation department that isn’t willing to escalate?” The latest TikTok on the situation revealed Angela had left a review divulging her horrifying find on Oishi Sushi’s Google page. When the restaurant finally responded though, it wasn’t the answer she’d been hoping for. “So sorry to hear that, our restaurant is very old, we do the pest control every month as the health department requires,” the owner’s response to Angela’s review read. “We almost moved, we [will] move to the new restaurant next month.” “They know they have [cockroaches], yet they stay open,” Angel said. “I just called them again and they are very much taking orders.” Viewers were equally disgusted by the fiasco, with one person writing, “I literally cannot even imagine what I would do if I drank this. I think I would actually die.” “I’m so sorry this happened to you, I would also be in tears. I’m gonna be eating a lot more at home,” another wrote. One thing is for certain, Angela is unlikely to be opening DoorDash for a quick and easy meal anytime soon.

DoorDash driver baffled after receiving McDonald’s order for single salt packet – Dexerto
DoorDash driver baffled after receiving McDonald’s order for single salt packet Unsplash: marques thomasA DoorDash driver was left baffled after they read a very unusual order from a McDonald’s customer, who simply wanted a solitary packet of salt. We’ve had some pretty crazy scenarios pop up between delivery drivers and customers. In January, Wingstop customers were forced to cancel their order after being told their driver was 84 minutes away, traveling by foot. Now, yet another confusing scenario, as a DoorDash driver clocked an unusual delivery request from a McDonald’s customer. We can see the order on the screen – for a single packet of salt. People weigh in on baffling McDonald’s DoorDash request After the video was posted on TikTok, people were eager to weigh in with their thoughts. “I’m crying – who needed salt that bad?” one confused viewer asked. “Prolly like 8 bucks in delivery fees too,” another speculated. Many fast food workers said they had received similar delivery requests in the past, writing: “There used to be someone to ordered one sweet n’ sour cup, so for fun we would put it in the smallest container and go up to the large delivery bags.” “Someone ordered just a syrup packet once and I filled the bag with a hand full of it.” One questioned the DoorDash driver’s behavior, asking: “Why would you not call the customer at least to verify?” This may very well be the case, as a similar situation had happened to another user on the platform: “I legit accidentally ordered 10 hot sauce packets from Taco Bell last week and it was $6.” Another DoorDash worker went viral, after they decided to eat a customer’s takeout when they failed to tip.

Doordash customer floored after driver demands $20 tip before delivering order – Dexerto
Doordash customer floored after driver demands $20 tip before delivering order TikTok: yungblackandgifted / Unsplash.com: Marques ThomasA Doordash customer was left floored after their driver demanded a $20 tip before driving out to deliver their food. Tipping culture has become a massive conversation in the United States as more and more businesses’ POS systems prompt customers to tip at the end of their orders. Over the past few years, netizens have gone viral on platforms like TikTok and Twitter for airing out their grievances with tipping, with many stunned after being asked to tip at non-service based locations like self-checkouts at grocery stores. Food delivery services like Doordash and Grubhub have also been prime targets for the tipping debate — a conversation that got a new chapter after one customer’s experience on the Doordash app went viral. Doordash driver demands $20 tip before delivering food TikTok user ‘yungblackandgifted’ stumbled across a subreddit where Doordash customers share their humorous or less-than-stellar interactions with the service, and it’s safe to say that he was left shocked by one driver’s reaction to a $12 tip. The Redditor shared screenshots of their conversation with the driver, who said, “I hope that you tipping good ’cause I came all the way from [redacted] to you.” “How much that you tipping me before I go farther?” they asked. When they didn’t get a response, they typed out a cool: “Hello? No answer. Okay.” The customer responded by telling their driver that they planned on tipping them $12… an amount the driver didn’t think was worth their time. “You should pay me $20,” they shot back. “Don’t be cheap.” The TikToker couldn’t help but laugh at the audacity of the driver’s request, and it looks like commenters agreed with him. “Y’all gotta stop ordering bro, this is why nothing ever changes, y’all never learn,” one user wrote. “After they start talking crazy you’re better off canceling it imo,” another said. “I hate the thought of someone playing in my food!” “Bro I get no tip a lot,” one driver shared. “I’m grateful when people do, let alone $12.” This is just the latest Doordash drama to go viral after a woman discovered a cockroach in her bubble tea order earlier this month.

DoorDash customer baffled after hilarious McDonald’s mixup gives her unexpected order – Dexerto
DoorDash customer baffled after hilarious McDonald’s mixup gives her unexpected order TikTok: foxymamabaileyA woman was baffled after her DoorDash order from McDonald’s left her with a very unexpected delivery. TikToker Foxy Mama Bailey took to the platform to explain her recent DoorDash experience that almost sent her through the roof. “I can not make this up. I just ordered DoorDash [from] McDonald’s. I asked for a cheeseburger, only ketchup. This is what I got,” Bailey said. She then held up what she received, which was a cardboard container of “warm” ketchup. When she ordered two cheeseburgers without onions, pickles, or mustard, the McDonald’s worker thought Bailey only wanted ketchup. The unexpected mixup may have also occurred because, on her receipt, it said “no regular meat” as well as “no regular bun.” So, it was a simple misunderstanding. Viewers of Bailey’s now-viral TikTok have since reacted by sharing their own mixups with food orders. “Yes!!!!! That happens to my son all the time!!!! I order cheese only and I get cheese between two buns,” wrote one viewer. “My mom ordered a hamburger at Wendy’s before with just ketchup and mustard, and she got a bun with just ketchup and mustard, no meat lol,” wrote another. Fortunately, after the mishap, Bailey contacted DoorDash and was ultimately given a refund.

DoorDash customer chose “pick-up” instead of delivery and instantly regretted it – Dexerto
DoorDash customer chose “pick-up” instead of delivery and instantly regretted it DoorDash/@1lont/TikTokA DoorDash customer has related a weird DoorDash experience to viewers on TikTok, explaining how the food app directed him to someone’s home after he placed his food order for pick-up. DoorDash is one of the biggest food delivery services in the world. The app let’s people purchase fast food deliveries. or items like groceries. Making it hugely popular with those who live busy lifestyles. But one customer on TikTok was shocked when, after placing a DoorDash pick-up order the app, was directed to another person’s home. The customer, who goes by the handle @1lont on the social media platform, posted a video captioned “illegal door dash food fraud and I’m hungry”. The videos shows him waiting “outside a random stranger’s house” for his food. “This is ridiculous, they gave me the gate code and everything,” he says as he drives into the private residence. Soon after, he’s told it’s the wrong address. Then sent to a different person’s house to collect his food from there. Eventually, after knocking on the door of the new address to see for himself how the food was being prepared, he got his meal. “I mean, I feel kind of better about it,” the TikToker said. Also mentioning there were “other people outside the house picking up food.” As strange as the experience was, commenters on the video were quick to point out he’d ordered from what’s known as a “ghost kitchen.” Ghost kitchens aren’t actually an illegal practice. So thankfully, no fraud was being committed. Instead, ghost kitchens refer to “food prep operations with no waiters, no dining room and no parking lot…” And they’ve been featured on food delivery apps for a while now. Many of them sprung up as a response to forced closures and lock downs during the pandemic.

Dominos takes controversial pizzas to new level with pineapple crust – Dexerto
Dominos takes controversial pizzas to new level with pineapple crust Domino’sDomino’s is now injecting pineapple and mozzarella right into your pizza crust for those who like a Hawaiian pie. Those who want to try this bizarre creation will have to travel to do so though, because, for the moment, it’s only available in Japan for a limited time. The popular pizza chain has weighed in on the age-old debate that has divided people for decades – Does pineapple belong on pizza? It seems that Domino’s has chosen a side in this debate, because their new pineapple crust is filled with cheese and pineapple sauce. They have also launched a faux-election, in which fans can vote on this topic once and for all, and to celebrate, they’ve also launched two pineapple-heavy pizzas. The Tropical Twist Quattro pairs the pineapple crust with the following four pizza combinations: Tropical, spicy, garlic master, Korean short ribs. The Extreme Pineapple Twist Quattro is aimed at die-hard pineapple lovers, as it contains the following four pizza combos: Ham and pineapple, ham, pineapple, and jalapeño, beef short ribs and pineapple, and pineapple, smoked bacon and BBQ sauce. If you still can’t decide on what side of the debate you stand, you can also get tropical cheese twist bread that comes with a pineapple dipping sauce. And to quench that all down, go for the premium tropical coconut shake that tastes like a piña colada. This pizza crust was teased in Canada on April Fools’ Day, but the caption read – “Available for a limited time, like, very, very limited…like, never.” Japan is taking this well past the prank stage though, and their pineapple stuffed crust also contains coconut shavings…. Coconut on pizza has the potential to cause an even bigger debate than the pineapple one, but Domino’s says it was included during the testing phase of this menu to get the pineapple flavour just right. Whether you love pineapple or not, it’s definitely a bold new product that’s set to cause debate. If you really want to weigh-in, you can even vote at voting booths in Domino’s stores in Tokyo. DoorDash and Uber Eats app no longer require tips for NYC deliveries – Dexerto
DoorDash and Uber Eats app no longer require tips for NYC deliveries Instagram: doordash, ubereatsDoorDash and Uber Eats no longer require tips for deliveries in New York City. Here’s why. Ordering delivery from DoorDash or Uber Eats is one of the better luxuries of not having to cook and clean, especially after a busy day. Unfortunately, the extra fees can add up, though. There are taxes, delivery fees, extra fees for using the specific delivery app, and of course, a tip. However, luckily for New York City residents, they will no longer be asked to pay a tip to receive a delivery via DoorDash and Uber Eats. Here’s why. DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers in NYC will now earn $17.96 per hour Due to a minimum wage increase for food delivery drivers of DoorDash and Uber Eats, customers ordering from the two apps will no longer need to tip on their orders in NYC. Usually, the tipping process is a mandatory step before being able to process the full delivery order. However, DoorDash and Uber Eats announced on December 4, that customers can add a tip after the food is delivered, only if they want to. Though delivery app drivers will now be paid $17.96 per hour in NYC, there could potentially be heightened service fees. The extra service fees will not be given to the drivers, as they’ll be paid accordingly from the app they service. City officials of NYC commented on the change, saying, “The minimum pay rate of at least $17.96 per hour will help lift thousands of New Yorkers and their families out of poverty, while still allowing flexibility for both apps and workers.” They continued, “We thank the court for making the right decision and thank the hundreds of delivery workers who fought for their right to earn a dignified wage.” A DoorDash representative also spoke about the minimum wage with Good Morning America, saying that they are “hopeful” that the pay rate increase will help to “better balance the impact across everyone who uses our platform and continue providing the best possible experience as we explore further changes to the platform in the months to come.”

Dominos start tipping customers if they tip delivery drivers – Dexerto
Dominos start tipping customers if they tip delivery drivers Dominos/Unsplash: Pablo PachecoDomino’s recently introduced a new deal that includes paying customers who choose to tip their delivery drivers. Tipping at fast food restaurants has long been the subject of contention. Back in March, a customer lowered the tip at a popular chain when the waiter tried to set the amount for them. Meanwhile, a server went viral after they told customers to “serve themselves,” when they informed her that they wouldn’t be tipping. In a study by CouponBirds, they found that 5% of Americans think tipping culture has gone too far, with 65% of people who “guilt tip” saying that they do this to “avoid awkwardness” with wait staff and delivery drivers. Domino’s however, has come up with a clever solution that creates a win-win scenario for both customers and delivery drivers. In the new initiative, called “You Tip, We Tip,” the chain will dole out $3 coupons valid for one week every time a customer tips $3 or more to their delivery driver. The promotion began on Monday, April 29 — and it’s not specified when it will come to an end. “Domino’s drivers have been hustling to deliver hot, delicious pizzas since 1960, and we love that customers have been tipping them for their great service since day one,” said Domino’s Senior Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, Kate Trumbull, in a company release. “But these days, everywhere you go, there’s a tip screen. The pressure to tip is real, even when no extra service is provided. So, we decided to flip the script and show our appreciation by tipping customers back.” To cash in on more deals in the future, customers can sign up to the Domino’s app.

Domino’s shake up their whole menu with new pizza option – Dexerto
Domino’s shake up their whole menu with new pizza option Domino’sDomino’s have added a new pizza option that can be applied to any already existing pizza, making for their biggest menu shake-up in a long time. Currently, Domino’s serves deep-dish pan pizzas, regular hand tossed pizzas, and thin-crust pizzas. Now though, there’s a whole new option. Domino’s have introduced New York-style pizzas that are made with fresh dough and are hand-pulled extra thin (to allow room for extra toppings). They are then topped with mozzarella and provolone cheese. These new pizzas are inspired by the classic New York pizzas, which are meant to have thin and crispy crusts, but be soft enough in the middle to be folded in half and eaten. These pizzas are set to have more toppings than a usual Domino’s pizza and you can buy a medium New York-style with three toppings for only $10.99. This new style of pizza can also be used as the base for any of their already existing pizzas, but if you want to go for a classic New York style pizza, pick the pepperoni to get the most authentic flavor profile. This base will come at no extra charge to the deep pan or thin crust versions of Domino’s pizza.

Domino’s release cheesy volcano pizza but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Domino’s release cheesy volcano pizza but there’s a catch Domino’sDomino’s have released a new ‘cheesy volcano pizza,’ allowing fans to dip as they eat, but, there’s a catch. Domino’s are known for its unconventional pizza toppings served around the globe. For example, in the UK, they released a pizza topped with chocolate sauce, there was a Burger style pizza in India, and Sweden even got a love heart-shaped pie topped with mushrooms and pepperoni. Japan, however, has had some of the strangest concoctions. In the past, fans could order their pizza topped with Octopus, Avocados, and Honey Ham. Things have gotten even more bizarre however, as on Twitter/X the brand announced they’re releasing an extra large pizza, that comes with a ‘cheese volcano’ at the center, that’s 40cm in diameter. There’s a catch to Domino’s cheesy volcano pizza Fans shouldn’t get too excited about this bizarre new creation, as it’s currently only available to customers residing in Japan. In the promotional video, we can see a slice of sizzling hot pizza being dipped into an ooey gooey cheesy dip, located at the center. Maybe US fans aren’t missing out all that much, however, as several Japanese customers were displeased by the new release. “When I took one piece to dip it, I felt like the volcano would collapse,” one wrote. “Please have someone who knows how to cook pizza properly teach you,” another wrote, clearly disappointed, showing an image of their takeout. This isn’t the only recent wacky international fast food release, as McDonald’s Germany announced that they’d be bringing pizza pockets to menus.

Domino’s offers snow plowers $500K to stop delayed orders – Dexerto
Domino’s offers snow plowers $500K to stop delayed orders Instagram: dominosDomino’s is offering 20 towns $25,000 to plow their streets this winter to decrease pizza delivery delays. Domino’s has officially launched their Plowing for Pizza program which aims to clear the roads as quickly as possible this winter so they have no delays in their pizza delivery. The initiative is offering 20 towns across the states $25,000 each towards their snow removal budget. Customers can even nominate their town to become eligible for the program. Domino’s customers have until January 21, 2024 to vote for their town Domino’s believes that “cold roads shouldn’t get in the way of hot pizza,” so they launched their Plowing for Pizza initiative for the first time this year. As of today, Domino’s customers can vote for their town to possibly receive a $25,000 grant towards winter snow removal. Customers will have until January 21, 2024 to nominate their town. The decision process will rely on the number of Domino’s restaurants in the town being voted for. The vote count will also be looked at. When Domino’s decided to launch Plowing for Pizza, they chose to give $25,000 after considering closely the snow removal budgets of towns often struck by harsh winter weather. Once a town is chosen, a representative will have to write down how they plan to utilize the money. They will also have to photograph and record the snow removal process for Domino’s and their campaign. If a town doesn’t get as much snowfall as planned, they may still keep the $25,000. However, all funds must only be used towards snow removal. In other Domino’s news, the pizza chain is now offering free “emergency” pizza. To read more about the details, check our page here.

So far, the response from customers have been that of relief and understanding with some remarking how Domino’s itself is a victim, but many others expressed not wanting to order pizza anymore. Domino’s is now selling limited-edition pizza “ears” in Japan Unsplash: The Nix CompanyDomino’s Japan is now selling a new limited-edition side that will have crust-lovers rejoicing… pizza “ears.” While the name may sound off-putting, pizza “ears” are now a thing at Domino’s if you happen to be in Japan and feel like trying something new. Luckily, this latest limited-edition menu item doesn’t contain any human body parts but refers instead to the edge of the pizza, something called “mini” or “ears” in Japanese culinary culture. For a more appetizing name, pizza ears can be bought in-store as “Cheese Twist Breads“ with two ears selling for 250 yen or USD $1.66. Aiming to make pizza crust the “star of the show,” the ears come included with 100-percent mozzarella cheese and garlic butter for extra flavor. There are also three options to choose from: the Cheese’n Roll Twist, the Cheddar Bacon Twist, and the 5 Cheese Twist. A tomato dipping sauce is also on offer, which may prove necessary to buffer the saltiness described in reviews. And if pizza ears alone don’t sound appealing, then the limited-edition crusts can also be served as additions to an actual pizza. Available until May 26, those hoping to get their hands on some pizza ears and brave the unusual-sounding snack will need to move fast. Especially if you’re not already in Japan.

Domino’s employee reveals secret ingredient to making popular Chocolate Lava Cake at home – Dexerto
Domino’s employee reveals secret ingredient to making popular Chocolate Lava Cake at home TikTok: @mazerlazerAn ex-Domino’s worker took to TikTok to reveal how the ever-popular chocolate lava cake sold at Domino’s was made – and the process may surprise you. The video since went viral, racking up over 135,000 views. In the video, we saw Maze – a self-described “foodie” sharing her secret recipe with followers. “I used to work at the number one pizza chain in the world, and here’s how to make their Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake at home,” she began. Maze then went ahead and shared the ‘secret’ ingredient that made the cake so special. “The thing that sets these apart is the Dutch or black cocoa powder,” she revealed. She then dusted the ramekins with the cocoa powder along with some granulated sugar. After this, Maze whisked up some eggs and then folded them into a butter and chocolate mixture. She then added a ball of chocolate ganache, and voila! They were ready to go in the oven. When all was said and done, the cakes looked identical to those sold at Domino’s. Customers were equally astounded by the result, writing: “Those are BETTER than Domino’s lava cakes.” “Omfg I’ve been craving these,” another excited viewer chimed in. Many had questions however, about how the chocolate ganache balls were made, to which one replied: “Guys, ganache is just chocolate and heavy cream. Let it cool and form it into a ball and cool it again – then you have ganache balls.” This isn’t the first time Maze has revealed how to create Domino’s dupes at home. Back in February, she showed viewers how to make the perfect pizza.

Dollar General customers are grabbing huge bargains with 1 penny items – Dexerto
Dollar General customers are grabbing huge bargains with 1 penny items TikTok: simplynatalie31A Dollar General shopper shocked viewers after she managed to pick up a bunch of items at the store for only 1 penny each, and they’re not alone in doing it – here’s how it works. In the video, TikToker @supersimplesaver took viewers on a trip with her to Dollar General. Amassing over 100,000 followers, her content is all dedicated to budgeting and couponing. In a video that’s reached over 3 million views, she loaded up her cart with various miscellaneous items. These included seven bottles of Accent flavoring, 11 containers of dry spaghetti noodles, five boxes of Bumble Bee Buffalo Style Chicken Salad, three cans of Sweet Sue Chicken & Dumplings, 10 packets of Clover Valley Hot Chili Seasoning Mix, and two packets of candy. She also picked up a coloring book, notebook, eight packs of crayons, and four 12 packs of 5-Hour Energy shots. Even at Dollar General, viewers might expect the TikToker to leave with a substantial charge – but this wasn’t the case. She finished the video by showing her bill, which proved every item rang up to just one penny. Penny shopping has long been established at Dollar General. Known as the “Penny list,” items can be found by looking for a green dot under the price tag. If you’re uncertain whether or not an item will ring up as a penny, scanning it via the store’s app will show the correct price. Other Dollar General shoppers are also managing to purchase multiple items for only one penny each, explaining in the comments: “This will only work at a self-checkout, my Dollar General’s self-checkout has been conveniently ‘broken’ for about a year.” “Our stores don’t allow penny shopping. They won’t let us buy the items,” another said. The markdown process typically occurs on a Tuesday, but you’ll have to be speedy. The discounted range relies on stock that’s supposed to be removed, so these deals are only available for a limited time before they’re out the door. Grabbing such a bargain at Dollar Tree is becoming a rarer occurrence. Back in March, company CEO Rick Dreiling revealed that the popular store will experience higher costs. “This year, across 3,000 stores, we expect to expand our multi-price assortment by over 300 items at price points ranging from $1.50 to $7,” Dreiling revealed. “But even as our multi-price assortment expands over time, the vast majority of the items sold in Dollar Tree stores will remain at our entry-level fixed price point.”

Domino’s are selling milkshakes but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Domino’s are selling milkshakes but there’s a catch Sora News 24Believe it or not, popular pizza brand Domino’s are selling milkshakes, but they might not be that easy to get. When we think of Domino’s, we think of one thing only – pizza. But, what if we were to tell you that the brand also sell milkshakes, but you just might not know about them? Back in July, Domino’s opened a shake stand in Omotesando, Tokyo. There, they only served milkshakes, without any pizza in sight. Unfortunately, this was only a temporary pop-up location, and it promptly closed. But what readers might not know is milkshakes are actually a permanent fixture on Japanese menus. That’s right, in Japan when you’re picking up your pizza you can also grab a delicious milkshake to wash it all down. Sora news reports that they’re “made with milk and ice cream, but with no water added, Domino’s boasts that they maintain their rich, sweet flavor from the first drop to the last, no matter how slowly you may be savoring each sip.” There are currently eight different shakes on offer, including: Domino’s Shake Cassis – Handmade in-store using only ice cream and milk. The sourness of the blackcurrant pairs perfectly with the creaminess of the milk – Domino’s Shake Apple – A rich, creamy shake that’s packed with heaps of applesauce. – Domino’s Shake Mango – Described as a premium shake full of mango flavoring, topped with real mango and whipped cream. – Domino’s Shake Real Strawberry – Another premium shake made using real strawberries. (Can also be ordered with whipped cream.) – Domino’s Shake Happy Milk – A fully-fledged rich shake that displays super milky aroma. (Can also be ordered with whipped cream.) – Domino’s Shake Rich Chocolate – Mixed with plenty of chocolate sauce, this drink is the perfect option for those with a sweet tooth. (Can also be ordered with whipped cream.) – The drinks cost approximately 790 yen, which translates to around $5.25, and the brand regularly updates the menu with new additions. Domino’s isn’t the only fast food chain surprising customers with its drink offerings. This August, Taco Bell brought out a range of beverages that could potentially rival Starbucks.

Do Stanley Cups contain lead? Company issues response to health concerns – Dexerto
Do Stanley Cups contain lead? Company issues response to health concerns Stanley Cups have taken over the world in recent years with people going crazy for the tumblers. However, some people have expressed concerns that the cups might contain lead, but is it true? As Stanley Cups continue to become more and more popular, with some limited edition mugs being resold for over $300, some people have expressed concerns that the cups might be dangerous to use. The concerns started after one TikTok user did a lead test on her Stanley Cup and shared the results in the video that it had detected lead in the cup. She first tested her mug for lead using a handheld X-ray fluorescence device. She also used a LeadCheck swab, which turns pink if the lead present is bioavailable, to test the Stanley cup. The swab did turn pink shortly after contact with the bottom of the cup. This caused confusion and worry among people across the globe about people wondering whether or not Stanley Cups are safe to use. Are Stanley Cups made with lead? Technically yes, Stanley Cups are made with lead, just like most other brands of insulated water bottles. But it’s not dangerous for anyone who drinks from their cups. Responding to the health concerns regarding the cups, Stanley issued a statement to WCNC Charlotte addressing the lead rumors. According to a rep for the brand, there isn’t any lead on the surfaces of their products. “Please rest assured that no lead is present on the surface of any Stanley product that comes in contact with you or the contents of your container. Every Stanley product meets all U.S. regulatory requirements, including California Proposition 65, which requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about heavy metal and chemical exposure,” the statement read. “We seal our vacuum insulated stainless steel products with an industry-standard pellet that includes some lead,” said Stanley. “The pellet is completely enclosed by a stainless-steel cover, making it inaccessible to consumers.” Can you get lead poisoning from Stanley Cups? Getting lead poisoning from a Stanley Cup is very unlikely since the only part containing any lead is usually covered up and does not normally come into contact with the user or their beverage. Just like Stanley Cups, most vacuum-sealed water bottles made worldwide are sealed with a lead solder. This only becomes a problem to users once the paint or cover comes off, you’d have to get rid of the cup. In March 2023, water bottle company Bindle recalled all of their water bottles after Consumer Reports found that the Bindle bottle could expose users to “extremely high” levels of lead. The advocacy group also said some bottles contained bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical known to cause fertility problems and some kinds of cancers. Bindle markets the product as BPA-free. Why is lead dangerous? According to the World Health Organization, exposure to lead can affect multiple body systems, such as the brain, liver, kidney, and bones, and is particularly harmful to young children and women of childbearing age. Lead exposure can be toxic to an individual’s body, especially for children which can damage their brains and nervous system, causing hearing and speech issues, learning disorders, etc. For adults, it can cause kidney issues, heart problems, high blood pressure, and other issues.

Does McDonald’s Coke really taste better? Here’s why it’s different – Dexerto
Does McDonald’s Coke really taste better? Here’s why it’s different People magazineThe debate of whether McDonald’s Coke actually tastes better has been circulating online for a while, and the answer is reportedly in the way it’s stored. There are long Reddit threads full of soda lovers who debate whether Coke from McDonald’s actually tastes any better to that which you buy in the store, and if it does – what makes it different? One theory, according to a Reddit user is, “The straws are larger, so maybe a different ratio with air?” One person even theorized that it could be mold that makes it taste better, “Could be the mold in the tubes and ice machine.” 5 reasons McDonald’s Coke tastes different The real reason why McDonald’s Coke tastes different isn’t because of mold, or any one reason at all. You might be surprised to learn that the process it goes through is different to that of any other fast food chain, so the difference you taste isn’t just in your head. There are five differences in McDonald’s Coke: 1. Storing the good stuff If you didn’t already know, the Coke and other sodas that come from fountain machines are made by alternating shots of syrup and carbonated water into your cup, as opposed to the pre-mixed beverages that you buy in cans and bottles. Although all other fast food places get their Coca-Cola syrup delivered in plastic bags, McDonald’s has had a special partnership with Coca-Cola since the 50s, and therefore exclusively gets their syrup delivered in chilled metal tanks. This means that the sugary syrup is not exposed to heat, light, or plastic before it reaches your cup, and could be a big reason why the Coke tastes “better.” 2. H20 Hierarchy McDonald’s pre-filters their water before it enters their soda machine, this means that no matter where you go in the world, your McDonald’s Coke will always taste the same because they use great quality water, even if it wasn’t great to begin with. On top of that, McDonald’s managers calibrate their soda fountains daily – whereas other restaurants could leave these for longer. 3. Syrup techniques Typical soda fountains at other restaurants and gas stations, like 7-Eleven, flash chill their sodas as they are dispensed. This means that they are at room temperature until the drink is poured and rely mainly on the ice in the cup to chill the drink. This isn’t the case with McDonald’s though, who always keep their soda syrups chilled. Also, McDonald’s set their syrup to water ratio so that it accounts for the melting ice in your cup, which means that your Coke won’t water as you continue to drink. They’ve really thought of everything. 4. Ice, ice baby Not only does McDonald’s pre-chill the soda syrup, but they also pre-chill the filtered water that is going into the machine. These colder temperatures mean that your drink holds carbon dioxide better, meaning that it will have that fizziness that you come to look for in an ice-cold Coca-Cola. 5. Super straw And finally, the straw does actually matter. McDonald’s straws are slightly wider than others. According to McDonald’s themselves, their straws have been designed so that the Coke hits your tastebuds more evenly. Also, it means that you are getting less of that plastic-y flavor that can come off some straws.

Dietician goes viral by debunking food myths about cancer – Dexerto
Dietician goes viral by debunking food myths about cancer TikTok: @oncology.nutrition.rd / WikipediaAn oncology dietician has gone viral on TikTok after she revealed the two foods you should avoid if concerned about your risk of cancer, as well as addressing common misconceptions about dairy and diet soda. Nichole Andrews is a fully qualified cancer dietician who actively tries to prevent the misinformation surrounding food consumption. As a registered dietitian who specializes in oncology and has supported thousands of cancer survivors over the past 4 years, she is eager to provide consumers with the bare facts. “There are only two foods that increase cancer risk, and I’m going to take you into the grocery store and spot them for you so you can avoid them,” she said in the video that amassed over 2 million views. Her first stop was the alcohol aisle, telling viewers that consumption “increases risk of six different cancers.” Including “liver, breast, colon, mouth/throat, and esophageal” cancer. Despite its link to good health in moderation, she says that this also applies to red wine, stating: “Any type of alcohol at any level of consumption will increase your risk of six different cancers,” zooming in on the bottles in store. Next, Nichole moved over to the meat section of the store. “Processed, deli meat—they’re going to increase risk of colorectal cancer,” she said. As well as pointing out what you should not eat, she also clarified some common misconceptions. She said that diet soda, oatmeal, milk, and seed oil do not increase one’s risk of cancer- despite what many people think. Nichole is correct in her assessment, as according to Cancer Research UK: “Alcohol can increase the levels of some hormones in our bodies such as estrogen and insulin. Hormones are chemical messengers, and higher levels of estrogen and insulin can make cells divide more often. “This increases the chance that cancer will develop. Changes to cells in the mouth and throat” According to the American Institute of Cancer Research, avoid eating processed meats. “That means eat as little processed meat as possible. They are considered carcinogens and eating them increases your cancer risk.” A nutritionist also went viral when they revealed the one thing you should always order at McDonald’s to loose weight.

Dine and dashers caught by police after not paying $400 bill at pub – Dexerto
Dine and dashers caught by police after not paying $400 bill at pub Facebook: Black Bull Inn MoffattA group of diners, who tried to skip out on a $400 bill, were marched back to the restaurant by police and forced to pay their bill. Dining and dashing – or leaving without paying the bill – is something that happens pretty regularly these days. Diners might get bored of waiting for their bill to be brought to the table and try their arm at leaving. Some diners and dashers have been more successful than others, getting away with things without being spotted. Though, there are plenty of cases where the restaurant strikes back. That has happened again in Moffat, Dumfrieeshire, Scotland, as a group of men tried to leave without paying part of their £300/$400 bill, only for the police to get involved and for them to be put on blast. The pub’s owner, Janie Seaton told the Daily Record paper that the customers were unhappy with their main courses and that she had taken them off the bill. They also said they weren’t best pleased with the table they were sat at. “One of the group then came up to the bar and said they were not going to pay the remaining £300,” she said, adding that the group took off after a heated argument where Seaton informed them that she’d be calling the police. The local force then arrived a short time later, hauling the men back into the pub shortly after midnight. They were forced to pay up before leaving again, this time with their tails between their legs. “Although they coughed up eventually, they were sore losers and next began to attack us all over the internet. Upset they’d had to pay. Personal attacks, fake reviews.. misogynistic comments,” Seaton added on the pub’s Facebook page. Naturally, the pub has gained plenty of support from regular and would-be customers alike. “Best of luck for the season,” one added.

Diet expert reveals best thing to order at McDonald’s to lose weight – Dexerto
Diet expert reveals best thing to order at McDonald’s to lose weight Forbes MagazineIf you’re trying to shed a few pounds but don’t want to say goodbye to your favorite fast food spot, we’ve got all the info you need for your next McDonald’s order, according to a dietitian. Knowing what to order at restaurants can be tricky when you’re trying to lose weight. Often, people assume that you need to forgo some of your favorite fast food joints altogether – but this isn’t necessarily the case. Dietitian Kristen Carli, owner of Camelback Nutrition & Wellness, shared her go-to order when visiting McDonald’s – and it might surprise you. “The best lunch order for weight loss is the McDonald’s Classic Burger with a side of apple slices and an unsweetened iced tea,” Carli wrote. “Opting for a basic burger, such as a McDonald’s hamburger or cheeseburger, provides protein and some carbohydrates without excess calories from cheese or mayo. “Choosing apple slices as a side adds fiber and natural sweetness without added sugars or fat. Selecting unsweetened tea keeps your drink calorie-free and helps you stay hydrated. This meal provides a great balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, which can help keep you satisfied while managing your calorie intake,” she explained. The meal came in at only 250 calories, but still contained 12 grams of protein which Cari said was “your BFF for weight loss” and the “superhero of nutrients.” McDonald’s themselves also have a handy section on their website that gives you a list of all of their meals that fall below 600 calories. Some of these include The BBQ Chicken & Bacon One – Grilled Meal, McChicken Sandwich Meal, and the Filet-O-Fish Meal. For more information about calorie counting at other chains as well as McDonald’s, we’ve created a handy guide that has all you need to know on the subject.

Diet expert reveals the best things to order at Taco Bell to lose weight – Dexerto
Diet expert reveals the best things to order at Taco Bell to lose weight Taco BellA diet expert has come forward to reveal some of the most nutritious things you can order at Taco Bell to lose weight – and still “Live Mas.” Knowing what to order at fast food restaurants can be a minefield when you’re trying to lose weight. Often, people assume that you need to skip some of your favorite takeouts – but this doesn’t need to be the case. Jen Hernandez, a Kentucky-based registered dietitian and nutritionist, who is the founder and CEO of Plant-Powered Kidneys Inc., told Fox News some of the best things you can order at Taco Bell when trying to shed a few pounds. They also spoke to Ella Davar (NutritionistElla.com), a longevity dietitian and gut health nutritionist based in Miami and New York City. Without further ado, here are some of the healthiest options to choose from on your next trip to Taco Bell. Black Bean Soft Taco The first item that customers were recommended to order upon their next visit to Taco Bell was the Black Bean Soft Taco. This one comes with the chain’s classic black beans, as well as lettuce, cheese and tomato. “It has just 390 milligrams of sodium but still packs five grams of fiber,” Hernandez said, revealing that this is around 20% of your daily fiber needs, from just one meal. Black Bean Chalupa The next one was the Black Bean Chalupa, which was a personal favorite of Davar’s. The reason? It’s “high in plant-based protein, fiber, antioxidants, and polyphenols from vegetables.” She noted that this made it the perfect candidate for a healthy lunch, as well as being a great substitute for a Classic Taco. Davar says that everyone trying to eat healthier can “benefit from the beans’ gut-friendly fiber content.” Breakfast California Crunchwrap If you’re looking for a healthier breakfast option, then the Breakfast California Crunchwrap might be for you. This one contains eggs, bacon, tomatoes, guacamole, cheddar cheese and a hash brown, which are all packed inside a flour tortilla. “As a dietitian, I love the generous addition of tomatoes and avocados for an extra nutrition boost,” Davar said, giving her top tip. Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme The Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme was also considered a big winner. This one is rich in both protein and fiber. Daver said that she thought this one was an “excellent” lunch option, and is “high in fiber from beans.” The Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme comes packed with plenty of healthy and low-calorie ingredients too, including a hefty portion of lettuce and tomatoes. Veggie Power Bowl Finally, the Veggie Power Bowl also came out as a sure-fire winner. As customers will be aware, this bowl is totally customizable, and so you’ll need to carefully consider what you order. Hernandez said to “Go easy on the rice and cheese, but add extra beans, guacamole and lettuce.” As well as this, “Add the Creamy Jalapeño Sauce for the flavor and lower sodium option if you like. All of this will get you 12 grams of protein and 16 grams of fiber, which will help fill you up,” she added. If you want more information regarding watching your diet while dining out at fast-food restaurants, a dietician shared the lowest calorie option at McDonald’s.

Delivery driver charges woman for 3 tips and doesn’t even deliver meal – Dexerto
Delivery driver charges woman for 3 tips and doesn’t even deliver meal TikTok: @webgirlmorganA customer who ordered food to be delivered to her house was astounded after they requested a tip from her three times, even after failing to deliver the items. TikToker Morgan took to the platform to share a bizarre experience that she had after she’d ordered food to be delivered to her house. “Am I crazy, or is this the new normal?” she captioned the video, as she was clearly taken aback by the experience. Despite sympathising with those working in the fast food and delivery industry, she states tipping has gotten totally out of hand. “So, whenever I go out to eat or whenever I order takeout, I always tip really good… So when I went to order takeout last night, there was already a gratuity added on. Cool, great, we love to see it. I also added an additional tip into this thing, OK.” However, she was surprised to find that upon picking up the order herself after it failed to be delivered to her home, they had handed her an “additional tip.” “And when I did not sign this, the employee looked at me like I just ruined his entire day. Sir, I am not going to tip you for a third time. What are we doing? This is ridiculous. Now, I get it. Y’all deserve this money, but three times?” TikTok commenters shocked by food delivery tipping situation After Morgan posted the video on TikTok, people were astounded by the bizarre circumstances surrounding the food delivery. “Wait! They charged an automatic gratuity on a pick up order. Ohhh hell no! Cancel the order. I’ll cook. I’m tired of paying other people’s salaries,” one wrote. “How ‘bout we make businesses start paying their employees… I’m a tipper but I’m not tipping twice, let alone three times!” another concurred. Taking a stand, one person wrote: “I never tip for takeout. or anything else unless that are actually serving me.” Some speculated that it may not actually be the work of the workers themselves however, and instead, the actual chain: “Feel like restaurant owners include an automatic gratuity because they want me to pay their employees instead of themselves.” “Currently working in a restaurant that does a high volume of to go, if you tipped online your tip may not be going to who you think it is,” another confirmed. Another tipping fiasco went viral in November, when a DoorDash driver bailed when expected to climb nine flights of stairs for $1.

Definitive ranking of the best fast food fried chicken sandwiches: Chick-fil-A, Popeyes & more – Dexerto
Definitive ranking of the best fast food fried chicken sandwiches: Chick-fil-A, Popeyes & more Chick-fil-AAccording to a recent study, fried chicken sandwiches are taking over hamburgers for the first time in fast food history, so it’s about time we ranked them so you don’t have to. Fried chicken is great, but it’s even better when it’s between a soft bun and slathered with some great topping and sauce combos. But, the real question is, who makes the best fried chicken sandwich in the biz? Is it Chick-fil-A? McDonald’s? Wendy’s? Or a mysterious underdog? The best fast food fried chicken sandwiches: Ranked This list will only contain chicken sandwiches that are permanent fixtures on each menu so that you can try them out whenever you’d like. The ranking parameters for these chicken sandwiches will go as follows: The quality of the chicken itself – The coating on the chicken – The crispiness – The toppings and sauces – 15. Wendy’s Classic Chicken Sandwich Wendy’s chicken sandwich is classic indeed. It contains fried chicken that isn’t spicy, in a soft bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a spread of Heinz mayo. They’ve kept things fresh with the toppings and their iconic pickles make everything better. The main downfall of this particular sandwich is the plainness compared to other chains, and the fried chicken coating could be a little thicker and more flavorful. Chicken quality: 10/10 – Chicken coating: 6/10 – Crispiness: 6/10 – Toppings: 7/10 – 14. Arby’s Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich This sandwich is made of a star-cut bun, buttermilk breaded chicken fillet, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and mayonnaise. This sandwich doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it makes a solid attempt at it. The coating has a nice pepperiness to it, but the chicken is kind of dry and there’s not enough mayo on the bun to compensate. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 8/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 6/10 – 13. Checkers & Rally’s Mother Cruncher Sandwich The makeup of this one is pretty similar to the others, so far. Chicken breast coated in a crunchy breading and lightly fried then topped with mayo, pickles, crisp iceberg lettuce, a slice of red ripe tomato and served on a toasted, bakery-style bun. The chicken is nice and light, the coating is never greasy, but again, the toppings are nothing special. Chicken quality: 10/10 – Chicken coating: 6/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 6/10 – 12. Culver’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich This one comes on a potato bun (as it should) and is coated with a spicy crumb and topped with lettuce and tomato. Okay so this coating has its own spicy flavor, so major points for that and the bun. The toppings are fresh, albeit standard, but overall, this is a sold fast food fried chicken option. The reason it’s not the best though? It doesn’t come with any sauce which can make it dry. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 10/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 5/10 – 11. Zaxby’s Kickin Chicken Sandwich This is a classic Southern chicken sandwich. It’s two of Zaxby’s chicken tenders, coated in their spicy Tongue torch sauce and ranch, all inside two pieces of Texas toast. This itieration of classic Southern chicken flavors is really good, and the heat and the creaminess from the sauces make this one special. The only downfall is the chicken itself which can be dry. The coating, however, has a nice sweetness to the coating. Chicken quality: 6/10 – Chicken coating: 9/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 6/10 – 10. Church’s Chicken Sandwich This sandwich comes with dill pickle slices, a slathering of mayo, and a chicken breast filet. What sets it apart though, is the honey butter brushed brioche bun. This gives it a nice touch, sure, but the rest of the sandwich is pretty standard. The nicest bit is that the chicken filet is bigger than the bun and is always crispy. The only problem is that the coating is a little bland. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 7/10 – Crispiness: 9/10 – Toppings: 9/10 – 9. KFC Zinger The zinger burger has been a popular staple in the UK but made its way to the US in 2017. It comes with a very dry bun, some limp lettuce, and a decent spread of slightly sweet mayo. The chicken, though, is top-notch. It’s always juicy and the coating is nice and spicy. The only downfall is that it can be a little less on the crispy side and more on the greasy side. Chicken quality: 9/10 – Chicken coating: 8/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 6/10 – 8. Shake Shack Chicken Shack Sandwich Shake Shack serves their iteration of the fast food fried chicken sandwich on the correct choice, a potato bun. On top of this, the chicken is coated in a spicy crumb that is nearly red in color to show that it has a bit of kick to it. The sandwich is served with lettuce, pickles, and a buttermilk herb mayo, which is a nice touch considering most fried chicken sandwiches are made with buttermilk. Chicken quality: 8/10 – Chicken coating: 9/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 9/10 – 7. Slim Chicken’s Hot Buffalo Sandwich Slim Chicken’s is a fried chicken chain that originated in Arkansas, and is less well-known than other chains. However, their fried chicken is really authentic and is served with fresh fries and Texas toast. This burger is served on a soft bun with a big piece of their chicken tenders coated in buffalo sauce served with pickles, lettuce, fried onions, and blue cheese sauce. It’s just a really good, underrated chicken sandwich. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 9/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 9/10 – 6. Wingstop Big Flavor Burger Wingstop’s chicken burgers get extra-points for the fact that they are customizable. You can order the burger containing chicken tenders tossed in any of their 11 sauces. If you don’t know what one to choose, check out our ranking of all of their flavors. It’s served with crunchy slaw, pickles, and house ranch in a toasted brioche bun. The slaw is tangy, the bun is sweet, and the chicken is juicy. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 7/10 – Crispiness: 6/10 – Toppings: 9/10 – 5. McDonald’s McChicken McDonald’s have said that their chicken is the most popular thing on their menu at the minute, and their McChicken many not be the best fast food fried chicken sandwich, but it’s a pretty safe bet. It comes in that classic sesame bun, with a chicken filet, lettuce, and a lemony mayo. This fried chicken filet is thinner than others and is less of a breadcrumb and more like a massive chicken nugget. However, it has that signature McDonald’s taste that’s hard not to crave. Chicken quality: 6/10 – Chicken coating: 7/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 8/10 – 4.Burger King Chicken Jr. This sandwich is similar to the McChicken. It comes with a thin chicken filet with a crispy coating, lettuce, and mayo. The chicken filet is mostly the same as the McDonald’s one, however, the Burger King filet is bigger, and the crispy coating has better seasoning. Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 8/10 – Crispiness: 7/10 – Toppings: 8/10 – 3. Raising Cane’s The Sandwich Raising Cane’s is quickly becoming a staple of Gen Z culture, and TikTok has been obsessed with their Cane’s for some time now. The Sandwich comes with three chicken tenders, which are crispy and delicious, lettuce, and Cane’s sauce, all on a soft bun. The coating wins, the sauce wins, but it’s still not the best fried fast food chicken burger in the biz… Chicken quality: 7/10 – Chicken coating: 10/10 – Crispiness: 8/10 – Toppings: 11/10 – 2. Chick-fil-A Classic Chicken Sandwich You can’t beat the classics, which is a rule that is proven true again and again with our fast food ranking lists. This sandwich contains seasoned, breaded, and fried boneless chicken breast on a toasted bun with only pickle chips. No lettuce, no mayo, but it doesn’t need it. The chicken is juicy enough and the bread fresh enough that it’s never dry and the coating mixed with the sourness of the pickle is a match made in heaven. Chicken quality: 8/10 – Chicken coating: 10/10 – Crispiness: 10/10 – Toppings: 10/10 – 1. Popeye’s Classic Chicken Sandwich The coating on this chicken is so thick that the filet pokes out of the glazed bun that it’s nestled in. However, it’s never greasy, always crispy, and so perfectly seasoned it could make you cry. The mayo is simple, the pickles are simple, but the chicken is so good it doesn’t even taste like fast food. It tastes homemade from your grandma’s house, in the best way possible. Chicken quality: 10/10 – Chicken coating: 10/10 – Crispiness: 10/10 – Toppings: 10/10 – The rise of the fast food fried chicken sandwich Move over hamburgers, because chicken sandwiches are pushing their way to the top. Any fast foodie will have noticed that chicken is all the rage on menus right now, and when Wendy’s launched their new saucy nuggets, they did some research into why this is. In order to prepare the new products, Wendy’s looked specifically to the Gen-Z demographic, and according to the results, “what they want to eat protein-wise [is] chicken, chicken, chicken,” said Wendy’s Global Vice President of Culinary Innovation, John Li. This is true according to a survey conducted by Piper Sandler, who found that Chick-fil-A was the most popular restaurant among teens. Take that, and Raising Cane’s rise to fame, and it looks like chicken is dominating the market. The fact that it is cheaper to produce is, of course, part of the reason, especially with the recent fast food inflation rates that found Big Macs costing up to $18, but on top of that, the trendy flavors that people love at the minute are lending themselves to chicken. People are loving pickles, ‘swicy foods’ (sweet and spicy’ and anything that comes with a creamy sauce, all of which, is totally delicious packed on to a big ol’ piece of fried chicken. However, If you’re still a die-hard hamburger fan have no fear, because we’ve ranked those too.

Dana White rewards fast-food worker who refused to quit his job for $100K in viral video – Dexerto
Dana White rewards fast-food worker who refused to quit his job for $100K in viral video @razzaqlocks / UFCAn El Pollo Loco employee proved his loyalty in a viral video, turning down six figures to quit, and it caught Dana White’s attention. @razzaqlocks or ‘Prop God’ posted the video on Instagram as part of a ‘social experiment’ to see if they could get fast food employees to quit their jobs. This sports gambling account does many videos like this, and even has one where they give a McDonald’s employee $30,000 for predicting a basketball play correctly. The Instagrammer tried to persuade the employee to leave, even saying that he could give the other team members a couple of grand each before he left, to which the employee replied, “I’m good, I don’t want to leave them suffering.” Refusing to abandon his team after he explained they were short-staffed, the employee turned down the massive wad of cash. Considering that El Pollo Loco pays around $9 an hour for front-of-house staff, he turned down a life-changing amount of money. This act of loyalty didn’t go unnoticed, and UFC CEO Dana White was moved by this staff member’s integrity. White is always on the lookout for a good story, and recently got a FedEx driver fired when he filmed him tossing packages recklessly. White and Prop God have a good friendship across social media – the sports gambling influencer even gifted Dana a BMW earlier this year. White commented on the video: “That kid’s got integrity. He’s a good human, He cared that his co-workers would have suffered.” White went further than just to compliment the worker though, confirming that he was going to give him $15,000 for being a ‘BAD ASS SOLID HUMAN’, adding, “good things happen to good people.” The whole exchange unfolded on Dana’s Instagram story, and he tagged El Pollo Loco, calling the fast-food worker their ’employee of the decade’. Although the employee himself has not made any comment about this crazy turn of events, El Pollo Loco did post an Instagram story where they said that their team members are “second to none” and stated that they “couldn’t be prouder”. This isn’t the only crazy thing that has happened at a drive-thru recently; this guy lost out on over $500 at a McDonald’s drive-thru after getting a ticket.

Dairy Queen secret menu Blizzards you didn’t know existed – Dexerto
Dairy Queen secret menu Blizzards you didn’t know existed Dairy QueenHold em’ upside down and devour ’em – A DQ Blizzard is the ultimate indulgent treat. The DQ changes up their Blizzard menu all the time, but did you know there are secret menu Blizzards available at Dairy Queen? When Dairy Queen first launched the Blizzard in 1985, they sold over 100 million in the first year, and it became a solid staple of their treat-filled menu. If you’re bored of regular old Oreo or Butterfinger flavor Blizzards though, read on for some creations you’ve never heard of and how to order them. DQ secret menu Blizzards Remember as with any secret menu, when you go to order these items from your local Dairy Queen, be sure to tell your server what goes in the Blizzard, and don’t just expect them to know the recipe – not everyone is in on the secret. Butterbeer Blizzard This one is for all the Harry Potter fans out there. Although no one knows exactly what this fictional drink tastes like, according to DQ fans, ordering a vanilla Butterfinger Blizzard with butterscotch mix-ins is pretty close. If no butterscotch is available, you can substitute that for caramel sauce. Sneaky ninja Blizzard A sneaky ninja on a secret menu, this one must be highly classified. This Blizzard actually originated from a game played by DQ staff wherein they would make a vanilla Blizzard with cake crunch, fudge, marshmallow creme, and one secret ingredient mixed in. Order one of these and leave the fourth ingredient up to your server’s discretion for a surprsing flavor combo. Tropical sunrise Blizzard This secret menu item can be made a couple of ways, however, one version was actually a limited-edition menu item a few years ago, so we’ll go with that one. All you need to do is order a vanilla Blizzard, and add in pineapple, banana, and coconut. This tastes kind of like a pina colada, and technically has fruit in it. Cookie Jar Blizzard Now, the Blizzard that Dairy Queen just released is similar to this one in that it’s jam-packed with cookies, but this one varies slightly. To order this one, order a vanilla Blizzard mixed with Oreo cookies, cookie dough, and hot fudge. This was the special menu flavor of the month back in April 2019, but why not have it anytime you like? Sugar cookie Blizzard This one is perfect for those of you with a sweet tooth who aren’t massive chocolate lovers. Who doesn’t love a freshly baked sugar cookie? Simply order vanilla soft serve Blizzard with rainbow sprinkles, marshmallow creme, and graham cracker pieces. If there’s no graham crackers left, you can substitute with pie pieces. Caramel pie delight Blizzard Pie mixed into an ice cream? Sign us up. Beware with this one though, as the pie pieces inclusion is famously elusive and Dairy Queen frequently runs out. To order this one, go for a vanilla Blizzard mixed up with caramel, fudge, chocolate chunks, and pie pieces. No pie pieces? Substitute with Nilla Wafers. Samoa Blizzard Girl Scout cookies and Dairy Queen is the collab that we’ve all been waiting for. The original cookies are shortbread topped with toasted caramel, coconut, and chocolate drizzle. To order, go for a Twix Blizzard with chocolate cone dip and coconut added in. If they don’t have any Twix pieces, order it with fudge, caramel, and Nilla wafters instead. Birthday cake Blizzard This Dairy Queen secret menu Blizzard will make every day feel like your birthday. Although there is no actual cake batter mix-in, this can be substituted. Order a vanilla Blizzard with extra vanilla syrup, rainbow sprinkles, and cookie dough. The vanilla in this one can be a little overpowering, but it really does taste exactly like cake batter. Banana bread Blizzard Banana bread may be a healthy-ish treat, but this Blizzard blows any healthiness out of the water – in a good way. To order this one, for the neutral vanilla Blizzard base and then mix in banana, chocolate chunks, and graham cracker pieces. Banana cream pie Blizzard This banana cream pie Blizzard is a take on a classic dessert that is perfect for banana lovers. This Blizzard was a fan-favorite back in 2012 (so much so that there’s a petition to bring it back), and it lives on forever in the secret menu. Order a vanilla Blizzard, mix in banana pieces, pie pieces, and whipped cream. The whipped cream should be mixed in and on top. Puppy Chow Blizzard This is a beloved regional snack in the Midwest, and don’t worry, it isn’t made from actual dog food. Dairy Queen customer goes viral after bringing his own bananas for banana split – Dexerto
Dairy Queen customer goes viral after bringing his own bananas for banana split TikTok: @Alexisnicolerainey / Dairy QueenA man had TikTok split after he brought his own bananas to Dairy Queen to make his favorite ice cream. In a video that’s accumulated over one million views, we can see the man in question driving over to Dairy Queen, holding a bunch of bananas on his lap. According to a poll by StrawPollers, the banana split sold at the chain is one of their most popular ice creams. The man was disappointed however, as the past couple times he visited, they had run out of the most important ingredient. He pulled up to the drive thru, and asked workers “Can I get two banana splits?” “I’m so sorry,” the worker replied. “I’m actually out of bananas.” “Well, lucky you. I brought some bananas because the past three times, you’ve been out,” he said. “Will y’all use them?” he asked the worker. The whole thing was a total success, and ended on a high note, with the pair sat happily in the car with their banana splits. After the video was posted, people were cracking up over the whole scenario, with one person writing: “He said uno reverse.” “DQ was my first tax paying job. We used to love the wind breakers we’d get if we were sent for bananas,” another shared. “Dang I wanted to see the interaction when you gave her the bananas lol,” one said, clearly amused by the whole conversation. One commenter, however, wasn’t convinced by the man’s ice cream hack, writing: “At that point buy your own ice cream and your own toppings, then make em’ big as you want for way cheaper.” Another fast food customer went viral after they shared a simple solution to make servers’ lives easier.

Dairy Queen customers excited to try $6 “mystery bag” – Dexerto
Dairy Queen customers excited to try $6 “mystery bag” TikTok: ashleynhdzDairy Queen customers were surprised to find a $6 “mystery bag” — but this isn’t the first time the food chain has sold them. When offered a bag full of mystery items, it’s hard to turn it down, as ‘grab bags’ popularized during many people’s childhoods. So when Dairy Queen customers came across a “mystery bag” for $6, they were eager to buy it and see what was inside. However, this isn’t the first time or only Dairy Queen location that has sold “mystery bags,” making many future customers just as excited to hopefully come across them. Dairy Queen customers say mystery bags are full of extra and mistakenly made items Ashley Hernandez took a trip to her local Dairy Queen with some friends and recorded their time there. While deciding what to order, Hernandez found multiple “mystery bags” for only $6. Unable to resist the temptation, Hernandez purchased at least two bags. In the first one she opened, there were a great deal of items like two blizzards and a vanilla fudge sundae. They also all came in varying sizes. The second bag was just as exciting, as it included two blizzards and two sundaes. After Hernandez uploaded her “mystery bag” video to TikTok, many people commented saying they wish they could come across a Dairy Queen mystery bag. Others revealed that the items in the bags were allegedly put in there because they were either made as an extra by mistake or because a customer didn’t come to pick it up. However, the reasoning didn’t phase Hernandez and her friends, as they were happy with what they received. Though Hernandez recently bought a Dairy Queen mystery bag, she isn’t the first person to take to TikTok to share herself opening one. The “mystery bag” hype has actually been ongoing for a few years, as many DQ locations have been known to sell them. What’s more, not all mystery bags are $6 — some have been sold for even cheaper. So next time you’re in a Dairy Queen, keep your eyes peeled for their infamous “mystery bag” if you’re looking for more bang for your buck!

Dad asks to speak to McDonald’s manager after son tricks him with “Krabby Patty” order – Dexerto
Dad asks to speak to McDonald’s manager after son tricks him with “Krabby Patty” order Instagram: meme.twainA man tricked his Jamaican father into ordering a Krabby Patty at a McDonald’s drive-thru, and people can’t stop laughing. In a video that’s since gone viral on Instagram, a man filmed himself at a McDonald’s drive-thru, where he asked his father to make the order. The caption reads: “I told my Jamaican dad to order a Krabby Patty from McDonald’s.” Things start out normal enough, as the man orders a medium fries and an orange juice, however, when he looks to his son to see what he’d like, he responds with a “Krabby Patty.” His dad goes ahead and tells the drive-thru worker he’d like a Krabby Patty, clearly convinced he’s making a real order. His son can be seen cracking up, but trying his best to not let it show. He also asks his dad to order him a Strawberry Mirinda, to which the drive-thru worker responds: “We don’t do that here.” The dad, however, unfamiliar with the language, doesn’t understand the McDonald’s employee’s response, and continues to try and order the Krabby Patty and Mirinda. Eventually, he even goes so far as to call for the manager, who is also baffled. People respond to dad’s viral Krabby Patty order at McDonald’s After the video was shared on a popular Instagram meme page, people found the whole situation absolutely hilarious. “Nah I can’t lie, this had me crying tears,” one wrote. “I can’t believe he got out of the car,” another said. “How you doing your dad dirty like that,” one asked, followed by a series of laughing emojis. Still funny though.” Another McDonald’s customer went viral after they quit over kitchen a catastrophe

Customers vow to never eat from candy machines again after owner reveals what’s inside – Dexerto
Customers vow to never eat from candy machines again after owner reveals what’s inside TikTok/karelleschmidtCandy-lovers were left disgusted after a woman took her candy machine apart for a cleaning, revealing what was inside. Candy machines have always been a quick way for customers to grab a small treat for an affordable price, but after seeing what the inside of one looks like, even those with huge sweet tooths are staying away. In a viral TikTok, candy machine aficionado Karelle Schmidt went to check on a machine that she owns that had been neglected after her brother, who was taking care of it, joined the military. After opening it all up to take out some money and perform a cleaning, users were shocked at just how dirty the machine was. Schmidt admitted that she forgot her tools to perform the cleaning properly, so she was forced to use anything available to her at the warehouse where the machine was located. Once she finished cleaning it with a sink, dish soap and sponge, she put the machine back together and filled it with more candy. While it was definitely cleaner than when she first took it apart, viewers were not impressed – and some swore off candy machines for good. “You may have just singlehandly tanked the candy machine business,” one wrote. “The roach. The ROACH,” said another, claiming that they spotted an insect carcass 14 seconds into the video. “Thank you for making this video. I can show my kids why I tell them no,” a mother chimed in. “All I learned from this video is I’ll never get any candy from these machines again,” someone else remarked. It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Schmidt’s candy machine empire, though. Some users praised the TikToker for being transparent about her business, even if it may have turned the majority off candy for good.

Customers shocked after being hit with $100 bill for ‘complimentary’ breakfast – Dexerto
Customers shocked after being hit with $100 bill for ‘complimentary’ breakfast TikTok: @byshannonbrookeCustomers at a hotel were shocked after loading up their plates with what they thought were complimentary breakfast items, only to find that they’d actually racked up a $100 bill. As we’re sure many readers will agree, complimentary all-you can eat breakfast buffets are one of the best aspects of staying at a hotel. This is what a group of friends on TikTok thought when they loaded their plates with what they thought were ‘free’ food items, following a trip away. However, while they were chowing down on their food, they were served something wholly unexpected – a $100 bill at the end of their meal. “The silence after getting a $100 bill for a hotel breakfast that we thought was free,” the poster can be heard saying. “I’ll accept it, but I’m never gonna (get over it),” she states. TikTok weigh in on ‘complimentary’ $100 breakfast After the video was posted on TikTok, it quickly went viral, with many people eager to weigh in on the situation. Some had had similar experiences themselves: “Hilton did this to us. Paid for breakfast to be included with the room. It was $45 for a child & I. I told them we paid already & they charged us after we left. Emailed & called and never got back.” “This happened to me! it was literally described as ‘complimentary breakfast.’ I was shocked when they handed me a bill when I tried to walk out,” another shared. Some however, were slightly critical of the group, suggesting that they should have known that the meal wasn’t free, writing: “If it’s not buffet style it probably is just a restaurant,” sarcastically, followed by a laughing emoji. A hotel worker commented on the situation, sharing what she does to avoid this type of confusion with customers: “I work at a hotel as a breakfast server and we have buffet style too! It’s common that most customers think breakfast is free, so I always let them know before getting!” Another customer went viral after they got furious with wait staff after an automatic tip was added to their bill.

Customers shocked after discovering 6 Dollar Tree items cheaper than Walmart – Dexerto
Customers shocked after discovering 6 Dollar Tree items cheaper than Walmart TikTok: @dollartreedinnersCustomers are shocked after viewing a viral video that revealed six items from Dollar Tree that turned out to be cheaper than at Walmart. The viral video has gained over 1 million views, and was uploaded by a channel dedicated to finding bargains for shoppers. The first item that she pulled from the shelf was a fruit preserve. “First, we have their fruit preserves which I was surprised that these are so good. Usually they have strawberry and raspberry. “This store was out of strawberry on this day, but these are about half the price of the fruit preserves at Walmart.” The fruit preserve sold at Dollar Tree costs $1.25 versus the $2.48 from Walmart. The next item was English muffins, “We have their English muffins, which are only about 25 cents cheaper at Dollar Tree than they are at Walmart. But I will say – I made a breakfast sandwich with a Dollar Tree English muffin, and (my husband) said it was one of the best English muffins he had ever had.” The Dollar Tree muffins are marginally cheaper than Walmart, ringing up at $1.25 instead of Walmart’s $1.58. She also picked up a salt free seasoning, which rang up at “almost half the price” as Walmart. The product came in $1.25, with Walmart’s costing $2.97. As well as this, she also grabbed a cajun seasoning that costed $1.25, instead of Walmart’s $4.68. She then headed over to grab a bag of rice. “Rice is something I always try to buy at Dollar Tree because it’s about 50 cents cheaper for the same size bag than it is at Walmart.” In terms of price, Walmart charges $1.77 compared to the $1.25 at Dollar Tree. Finally, she also grabbed a box of Texas Toast that came in at $1.25, while Walmart priced this product as $3.12. However she does note that the item from Dollar Tree only contains six slices, while Walmart’s has eight. People were shocked by all of the bargains the video’s poster had bagged, writing: “I’m sobbing at the affordable options, we have NOTHING like this here in Canada.” “I’m so jealous of your Dollar Tree stores, there is no food at ours,” another wrote. But, just because the video’s poster found some cheaper options at Dollar Tree, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s more affordable than Walmart, according to popular food blogger Living On A Dime. The blogger said that it all depends on what you’re shopping for – for example, they claimed that party supplies were cheaper at Dollar Tree but spices and herbs were an overall winner at Walmart. “Don’t assume that Dollar Tree is cheaper just because things cost $1,” the blogger states. “Dollar Tree is not cheaper on everything, but it can be on some things. Walmart is cheaper for a lot of other things. So if you shop wisely and pick the right store for the right items, you can get good deals.”

Customers livid after catching restaurant lying about suggested tip percentage – Dexerto
Customers livid after catching restaurant lying about suggested tip percentage TikTok/kentsports/PixabayDiners were left infuriated by when the math on a restaurant receipt’s suggested tip amount didn’t add up. Tipping has become a highly-debated topic in 2024 with everyone from UberEats drivers to waitresses having their own opinion on tipping and how much is acceptable. When one dines out at a restaurant, it’s normally expected that one tips their server, but users were shocked to see a receipt that had inflated numbers on it. In a TikTok uploaded by ‘kentsports,’ the user showcased an image of a receipt for $20.05 with the suggested tip on the bottom listing 15% as $5.02 instead of $3. In fact, the 18% and 20% tips didn’t add up either. “This is tough, because I love the suggested tip. When you’re signing a check, that is the greatest gift anyone can give you. But it appears restaurants are now lying about what percentage to put under the tip,” Kent explained. “Genuis move by them.” After doing the math, the TikToker noted how he’d fall for this if it happened to him, but revealed that because he tends to tip more anyway, he wasn’t the most concerned. The same couldn’t be said for users in the comments who explained they always do calculations before leaving their money. “Tipping is out of control,” said one. “Doing roughly 20% real quick in your head is super easy,” another suggested. Others replied that they felt there was more to the math not adding up, writing that the amount could be after taxes or calculated before gift cards or promotions were applied. In any case, it appears that this could be yet another thing to watch out for when at restaurants to make sure you get the most bang for your buck.

Customers go viral with simple solution to help overwhelmed sever with orders FlickrCustomers went viral after they found a way to make servers’ lives much easier, and TikTok has been amazed by it – even with it being so simple. In a video that’s accumulated over 818,000 views, a TikToker went viral after they shared a clip of themselves helping out a busy server. The video’s caption reads: “POV: Writing down our orders to make the waiter’s life easier since he was working all alone.” After the video was posted on the platform, it became somewhat of a trend, with people writing in saying: “Wait I’m going to start bringing a ordering pad everywhere. This would be so much easier than trying to talk over toddlers.” “So thoughtful. servers have nightmares about days like that,” another said. “I remember once a family of 10 had looked at the menu before and handed me a list of all the food and drinks they wanted and said take your time with it I honestly nearly cried,” one commented about their experience. “Oh my gosh, is this an option? Walking through my order out loud is my least favorite part of eating out,” another jokes. “We need to start a “how to help severs out” page for more tips like this because I’m definitely gonna do this if it’s busy now!” one suggested. Another server went recently viral too after they added an automatic tip to a customer’s bill at the Sugar Factory, which caused a big blowout.

Customers having “meltdown” over Chick-fil-A‘a first-ever french fries – Dexerto
Customers having “meltdown” over Chick-fil-A‘a first-ever french fries Unsplash: Malhar PatelChicken chain Chick-fil-A might be bringing out their own version of french fries – in what would be a first for the much-loved restaurant. Chick-fil-A is well renowned for its chicken. In 2023, it was voted America’s number-one fast food joint, surpassing the likes of McDonald’s and Taco Bell. But, one thing Chick-fil-A has never trialed is fries. Though waffle fries have been a fixture, they’ve never offered the usual french fries you get from the likes of McDonald’s, Burger King, and KFC. However, Chick-fil-A’s test kitchen spot in College Park, MD, is experimenting with regular French fries. This could turn out to be a game changer for the chain, similar to how Jack in the Box serves both regular and curly fries. “Now delivering to most areas in College Park, MD. Menu prices for delivery are higher than at restaurants. Additional fees apply; see applicable charges at checkout,” the post for the store explains. Some people had concerns, however, writing: “Please don’t tell me this is replacing the waffle fries.” “Everyone is having a meltdown on TikTok because they think you’re getting rid of our waffle fries,” another wrote. It’s not confirmed yet whether or not the fries will be released nationwide, but we’ll keep you updated. This isn’t the only fast food joint making news over their fries. Both McDonald’s and Wendy’s announced that they were giving away free fries all summer long.

Customers are not happy with Starbucks’ new cold cups – here’s why – Dexerto
Customers are not happy with Starbucks’ new cold cups – here’s why TikTokA TikTok posted on July 16 has sparked outrage from Starbucks fans across the US after it depicts the new paper cold cups. The TikToker @heybay, who goes by Bay, has posted several videos about the cups since she received one at her local Starbucks in California, and there has been an outcry from frequent iced coffee drinkers. The cup, which is made entirely of white opaque paper, features a dome lid and the iconic Starbucks logo, but drinkers will no longer be able to see what is inside the cup or make use of a sippy cup lid. The new cups are very similar to the hot cups that you might get a latte in at Starbucks, and after Starbucks moved to make their plastic cups more sustainable in April, they now look to have axed them all together: Fans in the comments couldn’t believe what they were seeing, with people pointing out several issues that customers might face with these new cups. The first being, “I like seeing my drink with the clear. especially if it’s a pretty drink.” When it comes to Starbucks drinks, their Insta-worthiness and aesthetic is a huge part of the appeal. People love posting photos of their cold Starbucks drinks, and with the colorful Refreshas that are always being launched, Starbucks seem to gear their drinks towards how vibrant they look on social media. On top of this, the TikToker who made the video expressed that her main concern was that the clear cups allowed her to identify easily which drink was hers when they were sitting at the pick-up counter, now, she will have to read the labels to identify her Pink Drink. Finally, a concern that people had was the use of a dome lid and straw over the sippy cup model that Starbucks have been using for years: “Noooo I hate using straws. I want my sippy cup.” Apart from the fact that people find paper straws to be impractical, there has been a meme on the internet for a long time that domed lids ruin your coffee’s aesthetic appeal: Although a lot of people have been complaining about these cups in the comments, some people did see the bright side, noting that these cups would stop condensation running down the cup, and of course, the environmental impact would be great. “It’s better for the earth and the environment, which in the long-term is a huge win, in my humble opinion.” If you’re as affronted by this as other people on TikTok, you might not need to worry just yet as people outside of California were noticing that their cups were still made of plastic. This would suggest that California is just a test location, and that these cups aren’t rolling out across the country just yet.

They reveal that the original restaurant it’s based on opened back in 1955, and they ensured the place has the same nostalgic feel as it did back then. People can sit at their table and have fun flipping through a rolodex of music. On the outside, there’s a Ronald McDonald that you can take photos with, as well as a bright pink Cadillac. “The McDonald’s V-O is modeled on what is considered the Original McDonald’s opened by Ray Kroc in Des Plaines, Illinois McDonald’s in April 1955,” the caption read. “There’s even a Laguna Beach lifeguard stand at the entrance to the drive-thru paying homage to the actual very first McDonald’s that opened in California in the 1940s,” so customers can enjoy taking a step into the past. Despite its unusual appearance, this isn’t the only unique McDonald’s location that customers can visit. Back in June, people were amazed after a TikToker revealed a video of herself visiting the one and only McDonald’s McMansion, and it came complete with a grand staircase and chandeliers. In addition to this, a little-known location in San Bernardino, California has a McDonald’s museum full of memorabilia including news articles, photographs, menus, straws, cups, an old ketchup dispensing gun, a vintage copy of the McDonald’s menu, and much more.

Charles has a milk allergy, so he always made sure to order his burgers without the cheese. Customer speaks out about McDonald’s order The man spoke out about his McDonald’s order via his lawyer, stating: “I’ve had to go through my entire life having to tiptoe around menus, dealing with staff that doesn’t know how to handle food allergies, and so on. “Allergies should be such a simple thing to be able to cater to as an establishment. There’s no reason why it can’t be clearly listed, options aren’t included when making an order to indicate allergies, and the staff properly trained to handle such a simple thing.” The local McDonald’s branch addressed the situation, writing that “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers. We take every complaint seriously and are actively reviewing these claims.” Another McDonald’s customer went viral, claiming she was discriminated against after being kicked out of the store.

Another McDonald’s customer went viral for sharing a hack for getting cheap meals every single time, and TikTok was amazed.

Customer shamed at pizza place for not tipping despite picking up order – Dexerto
Customer shamed at pizza place for not tipping despite picking up order FlickrA customer was shamed by a pizza house after they decided not to leave a tip, despite picking up the order themselves. In a popular sub Reddit aptly named “End Tipping,” a poster recently took to the platform to share an experience they’d had when ordering takeout. Redditor r/matterri, began a discussion following on from her experience, where she claimed her partner was guilted by a pizza worker. “My husband placed an order online for a pizza to go. He paid online and did not put anything for the tip. When he went to pick it up, the guy at the counter said, ‘I noticed you didn’t leave a tip; I wanted to let you know you can still leave one.’ My husband said, ‘Good to know,’ and walked out!” People weigh in on tipping for pick up order After the post was shared, it accumulated a ton of comments, with many quick to defend the husband’s decision not to tip. “I never tip when I’m picking up. Why would I? You charged me for the supplies and labor to make the food. I drove myself there and walked my ass up to the counter to get it because your portion of the labor was done,” one stated. “It’s so awkward to ask about tipping after they have already paid. Staff get so frustrated knowing someone didn’t tip. I could never look at someone and ask ‘why didn’t you tip?’ That is just so Awkward and uncomfortable.” Some offered some alternatives for the poster that had a different outlook on tipping: “This is another reason I stopped ordering pizza and we make it a point to only eat in or order at Little Caesars. No Tipping involved and they don’t have our address either.” Another pizza place went viral in February, after DoorDash cancelled a $600 order they’d been preparing all night.

Customer removes 15% automatic tip after server refuses to give him tap water – Dexerto
Customer removes 15% automatic tip after server refuses to give him tap water FlickrA Reddit user has gone viral after they shared a bizarre experience where a waitress simply refused to give them tap water. They got their revenge by refusing to tip. The subject of tipping has been debated endlessly, both on the part of the customer, and the server. In November, for example, we saw a waitress go viral when a couple refused to tip her, simply because she could not adjust their bill. In December, we saw a delivery driver charge a woman three times for their services, even though they failed to successfully deliver her order. Now, a customer has gone viral on Reddit, explaining their strange tipping situation. “I went to dinner by myself at a sit down restaurant. I noticed on the menu that 15% auto gratuity would be added to every bill,” they begin. “I ordered an appetizer and a meal and requested water to drink. She brought me a bottle of water and I told her I’d prefer a glass of tap water. I kid you not she said ‘we don’t have water’. I asked if there was a sink and she said no. I argued with her about surely there’s a sink she can fill a glass from and she flat out refused saying they only have bottled water.” “When I paid I requested the gratuity to be removed and the guy that rung me out apologized on her behalf explaining the owner doesn’t allow them to give free water… it was by far the strangest interaction I’ve had in a restaurant.” Reddit weighs in on automatic tip removal After the user posted their story on the platform, many were quick to sympathize: “Not having running water would be an osha complaint.” Many agreed, asking how the waiting staff even managed to wash their hands. Some thought the server was to blame, writing: “She messed up. She had the opportunity to throw the owner under the bus and say ‘sorry, they don’t allow us to give free water. We can only sell by the bottle.’ Loss of the tip might make her reconsider the response.” “If they had liquor in the establishment they have to give out free water. That’s ridiculous. You should shame them on yelp for it,” another asserted. “Most states have a law that if alcohol or food is provided they have to provide a source of free water,” another told the Redditor. Another customer went viral in January, when they raged at staff at the Sugar Factory, after an automatic tip racked up the price of her bill.

Customer removes automatic 18% tip added to their bill and people are furious – Dexerto
Customer removes automatic 18% tip added to their bill and people are furious Reddit: @u/fuck_tippingOn Reddit, a customer took to the platform to share that they’d removed an 18% tip from their bill, and people on the thread were furious about it. We’ve heard of several tipping fiascos which have gone viral. In November, a DoorDash driver helped himself to a customer’s order while sitting in his car, after they refused to leave him a tip. Then, in December, a delivery driver charged a woman 3 times for his services, but didn’t even manage to deliver the meal, leaving her to pick the order up herself. Now, in a popular Reddit thread, a customer revealed that a whopping 18% tip was added automatically to their bill – and they weren’t happy about it. “An 18% gratuity was ‘voluntarily’ yet automatically added to my bill for 2 guests. Swipe left to see the choice I made,” the post reads. We can then see in the next image that they’ve clearly written ‘zero’ where the tip should be. Reddit furious over automatic gratuity being added to bill After the thread was posted on the platform, people were quick to weigh in on the situation, outwardly expressing their anger at the situation. “Seriously, can we stop this ridiculous arithmetic test you have to do at the end of every meal and just add it to the f**king prices. Y’all do anyway so just do that and be done,” one wrote angrily. “Like why even insult your customers’ intelligence like that? F**king sick of this whole f**king world.” “My friend does this at his restaurant, people complain it’s too expensive, and then other people continue to tip anyways (and probably complain about it). Americans aren’t able to comprehend non-tipping restaurants,” another shared. One thought that there should be some kind of middle ground to the tipping experience: “If anything the tip should go to the kitchen in that instance since a steak is more effort to make than a burger and fries. But it doesn’t. “Same way that I tend to tip baristas or bartenders on the pain in the ass value of my drink. If I order a black coffee or a beer, I’m going to tip less than if I ordered a cocktail or some fancy drink with syrups, espresso shots, and loads of f**king about.” Another server came under fire in January, after they became furious at staff at the Sugar Factory after they added an automatic tip to their bill.

Customer lowers tip after waiter tries to set the amount for them: “F**k that” – Dexerto
Customer lowers tip after waiter tries to set the amount for them: “F**k that” FlickrA customer went viral after a waiter literally selected the tipping amount for them, but they were having none of it. We’ve heard of some pretty crazy tipping situations over the last few weeks. One of the most memorable was in February, when a waitress told customers to “serve themselves,” after they informed they wouldn’t be tipping. Now, we’ve seen another tipping situation go viral on Reddit, when a customer took to the platform to share an experience they’d had while dining out. “I had a hotpot yesterday and the waiter came with the tablet for me to pay. He then selected 25% tip on the tablet himself after swiping my card and told me ‘this is your tip, now this is where you sign,’” he claims. “I took the tablet and right in front of his supervising stare I proceeded to hit custom and input the dollar amount that added up to 15%. With all due respect, f**k that.” People can’t get over waiter giving automatic tip After the post was made on the platform, it quickly went viral, with many astounded that the waiter gave himself a tip. “I would have responded with ‘why did you select that for me?’ And proceeded to make it 0% in front of him!” one wrote, clearly annoyed. “Seriously. I’ll do standard tipping, but if the waiter is a complete a**? I have no problem leaving nothing,” another agreed. “I remember when 20% was exceedingly generous, something I would occasionally do to reward over the top service,” one recalled. “I believe that this is a perfectly valid reason to be a Karen, that servers gotta stop their aggression and peer-pressuring customers.”

However, what may not be common knowledge is that the fast food chain offers a secret menu to those who know what to ask for. Now one TikToker is spilling the beans, revealing you can buy your own personalized pizza that is made-to-order at select stores. Sarah, who goes by ‘sarahshooots’ on TikTok, took to the social media app to take viewers on a trip with her to Subway, revealing her plans to order a pizza. Choosing a pepperoni pizza, Sarah added a range of toppings including veggies, green peppers, black olives, banana peppers, spinach, and a slice of provolone. Once back in her car, Sarah showed off the pizza box while admitting she may have “messed up a few things” as it was her first time ordering the secret menu item. “I think I should have gotten oregano, I should have asked for provolone cheese before they cooked it,” Sarah said, opening the box to reveal the pizza inside. “It’s a little crazy.” A second TikTok featured a taste test, with Sarah stating, “If I were to rate it? Compared to other pizzas, it’s probably like a 6.5… but it was only $8.” “Wait they have actual pizzas? I got a pizza before and it was just the flatbread,” one surprised commenter wrote. Customer “heated” after Trader Joe’s ramen cup is barely full – Dexerto
Customer “heated” after Trader Joe’s ramen cup is barely full TikTok: aiyannaceA woman was heavily heated after finding that her Trader Joe’s ramen cup was barely full. TikToker Aiyanna described herself to her 99k followers as a “loyal” Trader Joe’s customer. However, that may not be the case after her most recent purchase of its store-brand ramen noodle cup. Though she was anticipating a warm, full cup of ramen, Aiyanna was put in her place when she opened her rather tiny portion. Viewers thought cup of ramen noodles was “ball of rubber bands” Aiyanna was “heated” when she opened her cup of ramen noodles from Trader Joe’s. Unlike other noodle cups that fill to the top before even adding water, the Trader Joe’s ramen cup was near-empty. All that was inside was a small ball of dried ramen noodles that Aiyanna may now wish she hadn’t spent her money on. In her now-viral TikTok, where she exposed the small portion size, Aiyanna also told Trader Joe’s to “stop” playing with her before she got “mad.” However, it was truly too late. Although viewers of Aiyanna’s TikTok understood where she was coming from, many people mocked the small cup of ramen noodles. “That lil ball of rubber bands,” wrote one user. “That’s one fork twist,” penned another. One viewer also expressed a similar experience, “The first time I got Trader Joe’s ramen was also my LAST time.” Another Trader Joe’s customer added, “I bought this ONCE. It doesn’t even taste good.” Though Aiyanna didn’t specify if she’ll buy Trader Joe’s ramen noodle cup again, odds are, it’s a no.

Customer goes on viral shopping spree as 99 Cents Store set to close FlickrA customer went viral after they decided to quickly hop on a storewide shopping spree after they found out that their local 99 Cents Only store was closing. The video, which has gone on to accumulate over 2 million views on TikTok and uploaded by TikToker ShySierraa, was captioned: “Pov the 99 is closing so gotta secure all the pink buldak ramen ASAP.” In the video, we quickly see the woman rush to an aisle containing pre-packaged items. She grabbed the ramen noodles from the shelves before loading them into her shopping cart. After the video was posted on the platform, people were totally here for the woman’s love for Buldak ramen, which is the one she can be seen picking up in the video. “YOU HAVE BULDAK AT YOUR DOLLAR STORE? Naw that’s one of the top earning fancy ones, your store is closing last,” one wrote regarding the chain’s 371 closures. “This place was the plug for the good ramen,” another agreed. Another shopper went viral at Walmart when they confronted a worker, telling them that they were “doing their job.”

Customer goes viral after “love” gets him free sandwich – Dexerto
Customer goes viral after “love” gets him free sandwich Wikimedia CommonsA man has gone viral after he bought a sandwich for lunch at CAVA, only to find that when he looked at the bill, a special note had been written by the server. In a post that’s gained more than 3 million views on Twitter/X, a man posted a surprising bill from the Mediterranean fast-dining restaurant, CAVA. The customer posted his tale on the platform, alongside a picture of his receipt which clearly lists the falafel pita for $11.05, but the total is displayed as $0. To the left of the total, we see the word ‘love,’ written. It reads: “Was the guy who made my sandwich in love with me?? I tried to pay and he said ‘You’re all set’ and this was the receipt.” After the receipt hit the internet, people couldn’t wait to share their thoughts, with many wondering why the man had not returned to visit the server. “Signs point to yes,” one person said, answering the man’s question as to whether or not they were in love with him. “Yep, and instead of talking to him you’re posting it for likes from strangers,” someone wrote, wondering why they didn’t go back and ask them for a date — to which the man replied, “I’m straight.” “NGL this is kinda romantic. They really went ahead and added love in the receipt,” another wrote. “This happens to me sometimes and I think ‘still got it’ but then I realize I just look homeless,” one joked. It turns out that none of these theories are actually true. David Garcia, manager of the Huntersville CAVA revealed to NBC Charlotte back in 2018, that the chain’s cash registers have a ‘love’ button on the register, allowing server’s to make someone’s day a little brighter. “Sometimes we’ll use the button if we notice someone’s having a bad day, or if they forgot their wallet, or if we see a customer who’s always in our store.” “We try to use the button at least twice a day,” he revealed. However, just because the button exists, that doesn’t mean that customers can take advantage of it whenever they choose to, according to an X/Twitter post by CAVA itself. Some CAVA customers had claimed the love button was all a lie, writing: “Your employees are lying about the love button – that’s false advertisement,” which prompted a response from the fast food chain. “Hi! The love button does exist but it’s up to the discretion of our Team Members. For their sake, please do not ask them to comp your meals,” CAVA wrote. This isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed acts of kindness from fast-food restaurants. Chick-fil-A has a ‘sunshine week,’ where they sometimes leave heartfelt, handwritten notes in customers’ food bags.
