Customer gets free food for a year after restaurant’s embarrassing mistake TikTok: fumptruckCalifornia Pizza Kitchen made a slight mistake in their food delivery order but made it right by the customer who received the wrong order. TikToker Garage Gremlin went viral for sharing the embarrassing mistake made right by California Pizza Kitchen. Though she ordered macaroni and cheese with her noodles and cheese separately, she was only given an order of melted cheese. “They sent me cheese… are you f*cking kidding me, I’m going to cry,” the TikToker said after she opened her order. She noted that two people suggested she order her noodles and cheese separately, but when she called the restaurant to complain, they allegedly told her she ordered wrong. “There’s supposed to be macaroni in it! That’s in the name,” she exclaimed in her viral TikTok. Fortunately, California Pizza Kitchen took her complaint and made it right by giving her free mac & cheese and pizza for a year. In a follow-up TikTok, Garage Gremlin shared the gift basket the restaurant had delivered to her. Along with the year-long gift certificate, they wrote her an apology note that read: “Oh hey, I heard we forgot your mac and only delivered cheese to you. Omg, how could this happen? Free mac and cheese for a year and free pizza for a year. Again, so sorry this happened – and we hope this makes it right.” Though she said she was in “actual shock right now,” the TikToker was elated to receive not only free macaroni and cheese for a year but also free pizza. Viewers of her viral story agreed that California Pizza Kitchen responded the way any “good company” would and applauded them for their quick and kind response. Though it’s not uncommon for restaurants to mix up their online orders like McDonald’s did for another TikToker who received only ketchup, California Pizza Kitchen proved that there’s always a way to make it up to the customer.

Customer found making a whole sandwich at Target and TikTok is impressed A customer entered one of the aisles at Target to find that somebody had left a homemade sandwich station. TikTok were impressed by the innovation. In a TikTok video that’s gained over 1 million views, a user called Monique pulled out her phone to record one of the aisles at Target, finding a peculiar sight in the process. We see a close-up of an aisle that’s filled with toilet paper and tissue. Then, in a cleared-out area, we see a bag of Nature’s Own Honey Wheat Bread, alongside an open bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and a package of Kraft Singles, and deli meat ham. “Not somebody made a whole sandwich in Target…. With the chips,” she can be heard saying, as she refers to the discarded items. TikTok impressed by customer’s makeshift sandwich After the video was posted on the platform, it gained a slew of commwnets who were impressed by the ingenious hack. “Hell …I understand lol,” one joked. While many others thought it was the video’s poster who made the mystery sandwich. “I’m dead over here screaming because you know it was really you,” said one. “Girl you did this,” another concurred. Some speculated that the store looked more like Walmart than Target: “TARGET?! IN TARGET? Naaaah she must got it confused with Walmart.” “Not in Target, that’s Walmart behavior,” another agreed. The mystery sandwich maker has not been uncovered and no one is owning up to it, but they’d probably make a fine Subway chef. In other Target news, customers were upset after they found that Stanley cups were sold out despite having a purchase limit.

  • Customer furious with Sugar Factory staff after automatic tip added to bill – Dexerto

Customer furious with Sugar Factory staff after automatic tip added to bill TikTok: @binkssofamousA woman was furious with servers at the Sugar Factory, after an automatic tip was added to her bill, racking up the price. In a video that has amassed over 4 million views on TikTok, a woman was utterly astounded after she took a look at the bill she’d been given for her meal at the Sugar Factory. She can be heard shouting at the waitress about the $44 charge, asking “Who is gratuity?” and why they’ve billed her so much. One of the employees can be seen visibly laughing, while informing her that “It’s the tip.” Annoyed, she snaps back with: “Y’all just putting that s**t on there?” to which they simply reply, “yeah.” She then folds up her receipt and gives in, saying, “all right,” before the video cuts. TikTok debate woman having automatic tip added to bill The video, captioned “Nahhhh the @Sugar Factory got me a lil TIGHT !!!!! Tf is GRADTITY !!!!!!!! [sic]” gained a slew of comments after it was posted, with many eager to debate the content. Others agreed with the woman, stating that the “Sugar factory is sooooooooo expensive.” “So they just to choose a tip? Would’ve told them to fix that,” another said, taking the TikToker’s side. However, some fellow restaurant servers attempted to explain the charge: “Working in this industry I totally understand. Gratuity is split between servers, runners, cooks etc…” “If you have a party of 6 or more, gratuity will automatically be on there. Waitresses work for their tips… paycheck would only be $100-200 two weeks.” One reasoned that there was a middle ground to the situation: “Gratuity is necessary in large groups. I once got gratuity for a burger and fries for just me. It was weird.” In other viral food news, a waitress refused to serve an “insane” family, after they only tipped her one dollar.

  • Customer claims Wendy’s secretly downsized cups following “surge pricing” fail – Dexerto

Customer claims Wendy’s secretly downsized cups following “surge pricing” fail TikTok: thabigreddawgA Wendy’s customer has claimed the restaurant chain secretly changed cup sizes following its failed “surge pricing” plan. On February 26, Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner announced the fast food restaurant chain would be implementing a “surge pricing” system where the cost of food fluctuated depending on demand. The news did not go over well with customers and Wendy’s quickly found itself on the receiving end of mass backlash. On the defensive, Wendy’s claimed that “surge pricing” was never its intent but instead, the chain would use “dynamic pricing” starting in 2025. This means that while price adjustments could be made, current prices would remain as the upper limit. However, one customer has taken to TikTok to suggest Wendy’s is saving costs elsewhere following the surge pricing fiasco — by downsizing its cups. Red, who goes by ‘thabigreddawg‘ on TikTok, claimed on the social media platform that Wendy’s changed its cup sizes after the “surge pricing idea failed.” “You know how they announced a little while back that they were gonna implement surge pricing, and then they immediately walked it back because people were like, ‘f*** that, we’re not doing that’?” she began. “Well, around the same time that [Wendy’s] said they weren’t going to do that because people complained, I noticed that my small coffee — my small iced coffee from Wendy’s — suddenly became child size.” Admitting she was “embarrassed” to go to Wendy’s enough to notice, Red said she eventually spoke to an employee who admitted that the cups had changed, meaning “now it’s the old kid’s size that’s the small.” Responding to one commenter claiming that Wendy’s cups were “huge,” Red showed the tiny iced coffee she had received; “Trust me, I’m just as disappointed as you are… to be fair [I don’t know] about their soft drink sizes, I only get their iced coffee.” “I’m not upset about the change other than it was done in a shady way and don’t think they lowered the price accordingly,” she continued in the comment section. And Red wasn’t the only one to notice “shrinkflation” at work, with one person writing, “Wendys has changed their cup sizes at LEAST 2x over the last year. For all items — drinks [and] frosty. I don’t go often and am always surprised.”

  • Customer claims worker burnt pizza on purpose after not tipping – Dexerto

Customer claims worker burnt pizza on purpose after not tipping FlickrA customer was shocked after they claimed a pizza store purposefully burnt their order after they chose not to leave a tip. In a popular sub Reddit called r/End Tipping, a user took to the platform to share a recent experience they’d had when ordering takeout. He explained that the store has been making customers sign their receipts on the tipping line. When the customers arrive at the pizza restaurant, they then choose their slices and the worker will go ahead and put them in the oven. However, the Redditor noticed something peculiar, stating that “At checkout he prints the CC receipt and hands it to me to sign (very odd), I did and crossed out the tip line and wrote the total.” After the pizza worker noticed that they hadn’t tipped, “he let the slices burn so badly he couldn’t even give them to us,” and to make things worse, he “[h]ad to start another set and burned those too but not so bad that we could refuse them.” People weigh in on burnt pizza order After the post went live on the platform, people couldn’t wait to weigh on the tipping situation. “It’s probably good you didn’t tip them considering the person was clearly bad at his job,” one wrote berating the pizza worker. “I would call the credit card company and do a charge back. As well as leave some poor reviews. F**k them,” another wrote. One, however, thought that the man should have been more forceful with the pizza worker, writing: “Put on your big boy pants and tell them to make it again. Also the fact that he f**ked it up so bad he couldn’t give it to op the first time tells me it was probably a mistake anyway, maybe he’s newish.” Another tipping fiasco went viral when a customer was shamed for not tipping despite picking up their own order.

  • Customer claims “aggressive” waitress scammed her by offering free drinks for tips – Dexerto

Customer claims “aggressive” waitress scammed her by offering free drinks for tips TikTok: @sunnyjunnyyAn “aggressive” waitress who offered free drinks to customers was called out after she proceeded to increase her tip without authorization. Sunny, a TikToker, posted a video to the platform that has since accrued over 80,000 views, explaining the events of her weekend. “I got scammed by a waitress this past weekend so let me tell you what happened,” she begins. “It was at an all-you-can-eat seafood boil buffet.” She told viewers that this was her third time visiting the restaurant, and on the first two occasions, the server made a “speech,” about comping customers’ drinks. The waitress let them know that she hadn’t charged them for their last beverage, and in return, asked if they would be able to give her that money as a tip. “This girl is very aggressive, like she’s very entitled to the money as if it’s hers, and it already belongs in her pocket. I just need to give it to her,” she says. “So I kind of felt pressured to do it because I didn’t ask you to not charge me for the beverages but whatever. So me and my girlfriend go this past weekend and I could not believe that we got the same exact server. I swear to God I started chuckling to myself with this.” Sunny proceeded to call up the restaurant, where she reported the waitress for her behavior. TikTok can’t believe “aggressive” waitress After the video was posted on the platform, people couldn’t believe the server’s behavior. “I’m sorry but who straight up asks for a bigger tip?” one viewer asked. Some thought Sunny should have taken action sooner, writing: “You accepted it twice without telling the restaurant, (but even) the first time was wrong.” It appears as though Sunny wasn’t the only one to come across this kind of incident: “The owner needs to get her arrested for fraud. A friend did that and got caught adjusting cc receipts. She spent a few years in prison for it,” one shared. “Years and years ago at Pizza Hut, the server did the same thing w/my group of older adults. We drank a lot of beer and tipped her big time!” another wrote. As tipping culture continues to be a hot topic on TikTok, another server went viral, when they told customers ‘serve yourselves’ after they said they wouldn’t be tipping.

  • Customer asks if waiter is “that broke?” after they request $2 tip – Dexerto

Customer asks if waiter is “that broke?” after they request $2 tip FlickrA customer took to Reddit to share an incident with a server, who he claims shamed him for not tipping more. In a popular subreddit, r/EndTipping, a poster took to the platform to share an incident that took place with wait staff. The OP apparently visited a bar that he was a regular at, and proceeded to order a beer. “Lmao. (I) went to a bar that I’m a regular at for the first time in three months and all the bartender had to say was, ‘you never tip us anymore.’” “I was like “you want $2 that bad, you that broke?” People weigh in on tipping situation After the post went live on the platform, many were eager to weigh in on the whole situation. Many commenters sided with the poster, writing: “The sense of entitlement to free money from these people is off the charts. My brother’s old roommate was a bartender, made loads of cash working 12-16 hours a week, and was the biggest freeloader I ever met. “So glad I moved to a country where if a bartender even mentions not tipping, nobody would go to that bar anymore.” “It’s not even about being cheap. I don’t see the need to tip $1-2 lmao. What is even the point of that? I’ll tip for a sit down meal at a restaurant,” another wrote. One suggested that the waiter was trying to be friendly with their request: “Tips are a dollar a drink. But maybe he was just trying to bust your balls in a friendly way.” “If that’s the case they can write that in the menu: ‘$1 service fee per drink’ otherwise tips, by definition, are optional,” the OP clapped back. Another customer went viral, after they claimed a pizza worker purposefully burnt their order when they didn’t tip.

  • Customer blasts store after claiming they couldn’t choose “no tip” option – Dexerto

Customer blasts store after claiming they couldn’t choose “no tip” option FlickrA customer put a store on blast after they said that they failed to put a ‘no tipping’ option on their checkout. A customer at Bubble U, a popular boba store, went viral on TikTok after they claimed that they weren’t able to select an option not to tip when it came to checkout. In the video, they recorded the end of the transaction, where the screen is shown along with the tipping options. It allows users to select anywhere between a 10 percent tip and a 25 percent tip, however, there’s no explicit option allowing users to opt out of leaving a tip. People weigh in on store’s tipping situation After the video was posted on the platform, people were quick to weigh in with their opinions. “Went to a boba store in the Bay Area with 25%, 30%, and 40% only options. I paid in cash instead,” one told the poster. “I used to work there and I hope you walked out after this,” one wrote. “Why do boba places even have prompts that ask for tips for doing nothing beyond the job requirement?” another asked confusedly. However, it turns out that the no tipping option was available from the start, with the poster writing at a later date that the button was located under the ‘continue,’ section. “They really hid the no tip option under the continue button,” they said. The store itself responded: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we’re sorry about your experience! We checked our systems and found no problem selecting the $0 tip.” “Yeah but it’s one thing when the custom tip is not its own button and it has to be merged in with the continue button,” one clapped back. The subject of tipping is a long-standing debate. In January, a woman went viral after she raged at staff in the Sugar Factory when an automatic tip was added to her bill.

  • “Creepy looking” UFO-themed McDonald’s lives in a town obsessed with alien sightings – Dexerto

“Creepy looking” UFO-themed McDonald’s lives in a town obsessed with alien sightings See RoswellThere’s a bizarre McDonald’s location that people might not be aware exists, and it’s the only one of its kind on earth, providing customers with a wholly unique experience. The McDonald’s is located in Roswell, New Mexico, and features a design like no other. The McDonald’s building is shaped just like a UFO, complete with an alien-themed play area that protrudes from the side of the building. According to Roadside America, “This is the world’s only McDonald’s shaped like a flying saucer. Its aerodynamic qualities have been compromised by its need to enclose a Playland, although the restaurant has tried to compensate by outfitting its indoor statues of Ronald McDonald and his various Playland pals in space suits.” The building looks particularly majestic at night, with LED fixtures attached to the ridges and frames, lighting the whole thing up just like a real space saucer. Why is the McDonald’s location built like a spaceship? It turns out that the reason the McDonald’s location has such an unusual build is due to the area’s extensive history with alien conspiracies. To quote the History website, “In the summer of 1947, a rancher discovered unidentifiable debris in his sheep pasture outside Roswell, New Mexico. Although officials from the local Air Force base asserted that it was a crashed weather balloon, many people believed it was the remains of an extraterrestrial flying saucer.” The official report was issued by the military 50 years later, clarifying that it had been a top-secret atomic espionage project, and not the work of aliens, but theories and suspicions still abound in the area. McDonald’s subsequently decided to honor the location’s history and modelled its restaurant after a spaceship, complete with life-sized alien figures decked out inside. McDonald’s isn’t the only location that’s alien-themed in this town though. In a Reddit thread discussing the place, locals said that this “creepy looking (McDonald’s) building” was surrounded by other tourist sights. “Familiar with the area and it’s a lot. All the street lights downtown are alien heads with eyes. The local car dealership’s logo is a UFO. They have toned it down as you get out of downtown though, I think they got rid of the giant UFO painted on Walmart with the last paint job,” one revealed. This isn’t the only unusual McDonald’s location however. In a viral video uploaded in July, a woman visited a ‘retro’ themed McDonald’s, modelled in a 1950s style

  • Court rules boneless wings can have bones after customer tears his esophagus – Dexerto

Court rules boneless wings can have bones after customer tears his esophagus Unsplash.com: Stu MoffatAfter a diner’s so-called ‘boneless’ wings tore his esophagus at a restaurant, Ohio’s Supreme Court ruled that foodies can’t expect their boneless wings to be completely bone-free. Michael Berkheimer was chowing down on some boneless chicken wings with parmesan garlic sauce at Wings on Brookwood when something got stuck in his throat. After three days of feeling ill and constantly losing his lunch, Berkheimer went to the doctor — only to be told that a small bone from his chicken had torn his esophagus, causing an infection. Berkheimer took legal action against the restaurant, saying they’d failed to adequately alert him that their ‘boneless wings’ weren’t actually ‘boneless.’ It’s not just Wings on Brookwood he’s going after, either, as both the farm that produced the chicken wings and the supplier company were both named in his lawsuit. However, Ohio’s Supreme Court isn’t on his side. In a close 4-3 ruling, they determined that ‘boneless’ is a style of cooking, saying diners should be aware that chickens have bones, which can sometimes make their way into the meat. “A diner reading ‘boneless wings’ on a menu would no more believe that the restaurant was warranting the absence of bones in the items than believe that the items were made from chicken wings, just as a person eating ‘chicken fingers’ would know that he had not been served fingers,” wrote Justice Joseph T. Deters. Deters’ statement wasn’t wholly agreed upon by his fellow Justices, who called his reasoning “utter jabberwocky.” “The question must be asked: Does anyone really believe that the parents in this country who feed their young children boneless wings or chicken tenders or chicken nuggets or chicken fingers expect bones to be in the chicken? Of course they don’t,” argued Justice Michael P. Donnelly. “When they read the word ‘boneless,’ they think that it means ‘without bones,’ as do all sensible people.” This isn’t the first time a judge has made an eyebrow-raising ruling regarding food lately. In May 2024, an Indiana judge ruled that tacos and burritos both technically count as sandwiches, sending the internet for a loop as debates raged online.

There’s even a price on the bowl of just 99 cents, which leaves both parties speechless. The camera pans in and out on the bowl, and you can hear the woman behind the camera laughing at the item being for sale. “Ain’t that crazy? Selling a KFC container,” said OP in the comments. Users quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts about the find, and many revealed some of the unique things they have found at their local thrift shop. “We must shop at the same goodwill. mine sells dollar tree dishes for $4.99,” one user replied. Another said: “It’s also funny when the stuff originally from dollar store still has $2 price tag & goodwill slaps theirs beside it saying $3.” A third user explained that Goodwill is supposed to price items at a third of what they’re worth, but claims many just guessed an items value. “I worked at goodwill and they just let whoever price items. Like you pretty much just guess a price and stick it. I think it’s supposed to be a % of what it’s worth but nobody ever did that,” they said. Back in March 2023, a woman went viral after revealing she had found an urn full of a pets ashes at her local Goodwill for just $4.

  • Couple’s gender reveal at Chili’s goes haywire leaving everyone confused – Dexerto

Couple’s gender reveal at Chili’s goes haywire leaving everyone confused TikTok: hagan_in_thereAn “adorable” gender reveal at Chili’s didn’t go to plan when the chosen cake left both the couple and viewers alike scratching their heads. Gender reveals rose to popularity in the late 2000s as a way for expecting couples to surprise themselves and loved ones with the gender of their baby. A relatively new phenomenon, the tradition can rely on various methods to reveal the baby’s gender, usually utilizing blue or pink as the final giveaway — from popping balloons, shooting confetti cannons, or slicing cake. However, one couple’s reveal at a Chili’s restaurant didn’t go as planned after their chosen cake resulted in a confused outcome. TikTok creator Hagan, who goes by ‘hagan_in_there‘ on the platform, posted her and her husband’s gender reveal, offering advice to other expecting couples to ensure they avoided the same conundrum. “Pro tip: don’t order a confetti cake for your gender reveal,” overlay text on the video read, as the couple guessed what they expected the cake to show. While Hagan opted to guess “boy” and her husband went for “girl,” both were left baffled after cutting the cake only to find a mixture of both blue and pink inside. After some confusion, Hagan announced, “Oh, it’s pink!” and the couple celebrated the upcoming arrival of their daughter. As it turned out, the confusion arose as the confetti cake had included both pink and blue sprinkles with pink cream in the middle cementing the gender reveal. Viewers were similarly stumped by the cake, with one person commenting, “This is the most confusing gender reveal cake I’ve ever seen.” “This is the worst gender reveal cake I’ve ever seen,” another wrote. Though one viewer didn’t let the muddled reveal ruin the heartwarming video; “This is the only gender reveal I have ever loved! So adorable.” Despite the mix-up and the couple’s recommendation against opting for a confetti cake, Hagan wrote in the caption of her video, “Do, however, have an intimate gender reveal at Chili’s Grill & Bar. Look y’all, my pregnancy craving for a confetti cake trumped all logical thinking!”

TikTok impressed as couple saves $17K by serving Domino’s Pizza at Airbnb wedding TikTok: jamielouisephillips, dominospizzaphViewers are impressed by a couple who saved thousands of dollars by serving Domino’s Pizza at their Airbnb wedding. Jamie-Louise Phillips, 22, and Sam Phillips, 25, who reside in the UK, took to TikTok to share the story of their inexpensive wedding where they saved $17K. According to Hitched, the average UK wedding costs a couple $20K and some change. But when Jamie and Sam planned their nuptials and reception, they sought to save money. Fortunately, the couple only spent about $3,000 on their entire wedding. They did so by opting to have their ceremony at an Airbnb for roughly $600. Not only that, but they ordered $200 worth of Domino’s Pizza for their guests, which they said everyone “loved.” In addition to Domino’s Pizza, the bride and groom served other tasty treats, including a heart-shaped cake from a local bakery. After one viewer of the bride’s viral TikTok asked for more details about what food they served, she answered: “We ordered pizzas!! We also had lots of other things like salad, bread. It was really hot on our wedding day so people didn’t want a lot to eat! A lot of our guests also offered to bake things for us.” The couple also saved thousands on their wedding by hiring the groom’s best man as their photographer, buying flowers from a local farmer, designing their own decorations, and doing their own glam. Other viewers of their money-saving wedding were shocked that they saved so much on such an important day. “Wow, so impressive and so beautiful!” exclaimed one. “I am obsessed with this. What area is this? This is exactly how we want ours,” added another. Many others were interested in the same type of wedding vibe and asked Jamie where her Airbnb was, as they thought the price was right for such a gorgeous location. Earlier this summer, another couple shared how they saved money by planning to have their September 2024 wedding catered by McDonald’s. The couple met while working at the food chain, making their food choice not only nostalgic but sentimental.

Costco’s secret menu ice cream has been hiding in plain sight this whole time CostcoEveryone knows that the Costco food court is the best part of the trip, with their huge portions and low prices, the menu items at Costco never disappoint. Although the pizza slices bigger than your head and the hot dogs get a lot of hype, this ice cream item will be your new addiction. The chocolate strawberry sundae has been hiding in plain sight this whole time, and here’s how to get it. If you’ve ever been to the Costco food court, you’ll know that on the display boards a vanilla ice cream, a chocolate ice cream, and two vanilla ice cream sundaes with strawberry or chocolate sauce are advertised. This, would naturally lead any customer to believe that these are the only frozen dessert options. However, one Instagram food blogger noticed that if you place your order on the self-checkout touch screens, you’ll see that another sundae under the ‘strawberry sundae’ option is hiding there. The chocolate strawberry sundae features chocolate-flavored soft serve, strawberry sauce, and even whole strawberry pieces. People in the comments couldn’t believe that this sundae had been here the whole time, one person exclaimed, “Wait a secret menu?! Costco food court is a weekly visit for us. We gotta try this next time.” Others concurred, noting that this was a “great hack”, and that it tastes exactly like chocolate covered strawberries. For one person, the hack even brought back a wave of nostalgia: “Back before they had those automated tellers, I used to have them make me chocolate ice cream with strawberries & swirl with strawberries. It was good.” Someone even got inventive, claiming that they tried this but then dumped it all onto one of their giant cookies for even more of a sugar rush. Cotton candy burritos are TikTok’s newest “disgusting” trend Twitter/X: Mark DaltonThere’s a new trend on TikTok called the ‘cotton candy burrito’ and unlike the regular meat variety, it involves a whole lot more sugar. A new treat was unveiled at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for the 2024 NFL season: a cotton candy burrito. Mark Dalton, the senior vice president for the Arizona Cardinals’ media relations shared an image of the sickeningly sweet treat on Twitter/X, describing it as “ice cream and candy wrapped in cotton candy.” According to the Cardinals’ new State Farm Stadium food description, it contains Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, marshmallows, skittles, mini M&M’s, gummy bears, and sprinkles inside a cotton candy shell. On the official website, the cotton candy burrito has been named the “showstopper” of the season’s menu, which also contains flaming hot Cheeto chicken tenders. The candied burrito trend has also become somewhat of a phenomenon on TikTok, with users making their own variations, many of them filled with ice cream and various candies packed inside. But despite its popularity, many people aren’t convinced by the sugary creation, expressing their doubts. “Absolutely disgusting,” one wrote underneath Dalton’s post, while another said it looked like “instant diabetes.” “I just got a new cavity from looking at this,” one said, concluding that “anyone who orders this should have to spend a year in jail.” Some, however, were totally here for it, writing: “That looks phenomenal.” “That looks crazy good,” another wrote, clearly enthralled by the new snack. This isn’t the first bizarre food creation to emerge in 2024, back in July, people were mixing KitKat’s and Heinz ketchup together to produce a completely unexpected flavor profile.

Costco shoppers warn against buying these popular gift cards because of scams CostcoCostco is known for having amazing deals on pretty much everything, but these gift cards could end up being the worst value item you’ve ever bought. If you’ve ever been to Costco, you’ve probably seen the popular packs of digital gift cards they sell that are often priced lower than their full value. Including brands like Xbox and Dominos, these bundles often contain four-packs of $25 gift cards for $89.99 or less, meaning that customers are getting a great bargain on their purchase. However, this may no longer be the case, as one Reddit thread has uncovered a fraudulent scheme being run by thieves that means customers are activating their cards, only to find that they don’t have the full funds available. Customers warn against gift card scam One Costco shopper revealed on Reddit that they’d purchased the four-pack of $25 Dominos gift cards only to discover that one of the cards was only loaded with $15. “It does make me lose some trust, and defeated the whole point of me buying them at a discount.” the shopper noted. The worst part is, that this seems to have happened to a lot of people. “I went through a similar problem [with] Dominos gift cards purchased digitally from Costco. Two $25 cards were fine and two were completely closed,” another user commented on the post. Another shopper attempted to clarify the subject, noting, “I watched a video on gift card theft and it seems like it’s a big issue today.” This type of scam is becoming increasingly popular, according to Fox News. It involves draining gift cards of their funds before they can be used, and it is an attractive scam to thieves as the theft is not detected until someone who has already bought the gift card attempts to use it. How do gift card scams work? Typically, these scammers will remove the silver strip covering the gift card number, note down the number, or take a photo of it, and then replace the silver strip without anyone detecting that there has been some tampering. According to the original Reddit thread, it can be really difficult to dispute the funds with your bank and it often ends up with the thieves not being pursued by law enforcement as there is no record of when the crime was committed. The scam has apparently gotten so common that an alleged Costco call center employee begged shoppers to avoid the digital gift cards in another Reddit post. The employee claims to have received many complaints from Costco members, such as a mother of four who’d bought $1,000 in Disney gift cards that all ended up having $0 balances. Since gift cards are non-refundable at Costco, the employee said the chances of getting a refund on a drained card are slim to nonexistent. “Please DO NOT take the chance. I’m sick of dealing with the issues, telling members that their cards were redeemed somewhere across the country by a person with a totally different name,” they wrote. As of right now, Costco has not commented on the widespread issue, however, it’s important to remember that this theft is not occurring in all stores and that many customers have purchased these gift cards without any issues.

Costco worker praised for refusing to give free energy drink samples to kids TIKTOK: moonie1976_ / WIKIMEDIA COMMONSA Costco worker has been applauded by viewers on TikTok after refusing to give out free energy drink samples to kids. A father took to TikTok to blast a Costco employee who declined to hand samples out to children – but most viewers supported the decision. In a viral clip, Moonie (moonie1976) caught a worker refusing to give samples of Alani Nu Energy drink to his son. When he asked about the sample, the Costco employee clarified that it was an energy drink, and mentioned that the samples were only for adults. “Not for children,” she told the shopper. “Oh, OK, c’mon you guys,” the dad replied as he guided his two children away. “Dad, you can have one,” the worker offered in response. Moonie refused to take the sample, saying “Nah, I’m good with coffee.” He expressed his frustration with the situation through a text-overlay in the clip, writing, “Costco shutting the kids down. SMH.” Viewers praise Costco worker for not giving samples to kids The vast majority of TikTok users in the comment section sided with the Costco employee, and praised her for doing the right thing. “That’s a good thing!! energy drinks can be very harmful to your body,” one person wrote. “Good for that woman.. children should not drink that junk,” another added. “Energy drinks can kill adults. It causes heart issues. People have died from drinking them. That’s why kids can’t have them,” a third shared. “Why is this a ‘smh’ it’s an energy drink? But I’m sure if she would’ve let them he would’ve made a video pissed about it,” someone else said. The TikToker seemed unbothered by the criticism, as he later posted a parody video in which he approached a mall worker and requested the strongest energy drink for his children.

  • Costco shopper successfully returns $1,400 playground set from 2008 because his “kids grew up” – Dexerto

Costco shopper successfully returns $1,400 playground set from 2008 because his “kids grew up” TikTok: @psychoz28A Costco shopper has gone viral after successfully returning a playground set from 2008, simply because his kids grew out of it. Costco is beloved by many US customers for its low prices, food courts, and helpful staff. But, another reason why Costco is so highly regarded is because it has an excellent returns policy. In a video with over 578,000 views, TikTok user @psychoz28 explained to viewers just how generous that returns policy really is. He retold a situation where he was working in Costco’s “membership” area, where employees deal with customer service. “I get called down to Membership. I see a guy standing there with one of those orange flatbed carts. It has a whole bunch of pieces to a playground set,” he recalled, and showed a picture of a playground set in the background priced at $1,399.99. He was asked to help the customer locate his receipt, and upon searching, he discovered that the original purchase was made in 2008. He asked the man why he was seeking the return, to which the customer replied “My kids grew up.” “He is able to return it because his kid grew up. There’s no problems, no complaints. That’s how Costco operates. This guy essentially borrowed a $1,400 play set for his kid. It’s crazy how much Costco cares about their members,” he concluded. People were astounded in the comments section that the customer was able to get a full refund from the store, writing: “Omg I need a Costco membership.” Some had their own returns stories to share: “I’ve seen people returning Christmas trees after Christmas.” “I watched a family return an above-ground pool. Because they didn’t need it during the winter,” another revealed. Some, however, chided the man’s behavior, calling him arrogant for making the return: “I wish I could have a morally decent version of this level of audacity.” According to the returns section on the Costco website, there are only some exceptions when it comes to full refunds. These include electronics, batteries, diamonds, and alcohol, to name a few, so be sure to check it out before making a purchase. Costco isn’t just renowned for its returns policy, but also bargain birthday offerings. One woman spent her whole birthday there with a budget of only $30.

  • Costco members want popular item only in Canada brought to the US – Dexerto

Costco members want popular item only in Canada brought to the US FlickrMembers are calling for a popular item sold at Costco Canada to grace US food court menus – and it’s super cheap. US-based Costco customers are calling on the company to release its ever-popular Canadian chicken fingers and fries baskets ($6.99 in CAD) in the US, which they contend is a much cheaper alternative to regular takeout food. To put into perspective how cheap this meal deal really is, and why it has generated such high demand – if you were to order a 4-count strips and fries with a drink at Chick-fil-A, this would cost you upward of $11.30, depending on location, especially in larger cities such as New York. In a viral Reddit post, people raged over the fact that they couldn’t take advantage of the Costco meal deal, writing: “Why the hell doesn’t Costco USA have french fries or chicken strips? I would kill for that!” “Literally every single non-US food court menu is better than the US one,” another said frustratedly. Some theorized that the reason the chicken fingers weren’t coming to America was because it would be “Just too smart of a move.” According to a survey on Statista.com, 66 million Americans say chicken tenders are the frozen-chicken variety they consume the most, while 73 million Americans regularly eat chicken nuggets. So it’s not for a lack of popularity that the chicken fingers are yet to grace menus. Costco hasn’t responded to consumer demands regarding their Chicken Fingers, so US customers might need to take a road trip in the meantime to sample the meal deal. There’s another item that Costco-members are going crazy over – but this one’s available nationwide across the US. The Banana Cream Pie sold by Costco weighs a whopping 3 lbs.

If you haven’t lived through such an event, you would be surprised to see this item. You don’t have to be a doomsday prepper to stash food and water.” This isn’t the only crazy food thing that might help you in a disaster, people in Texas were using the Whataburger app to help them during a hurricane.

  • Costco low pricing secrets finally explained – Dexerto

Costco low pricing secrets finally explained CostcoCostco is an institution for those who are always on the hunt for a bargain, and now, we have some secret intel on what those Costco prices actually mean. Costco doesn’t do clearance sections or discounted labels, all the deals are run based on a secret code, and if you don’t know what to look out for, you could miss them. Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered so you know what to look for. The code has been cracked by some sleuths on X, and the meanings are as follows: Prices ending in 9s are normal When most Costco products hit shelves, they are listed as .99 before any clearances or discounts are applied. “Standard pricing ends in .99, which is just the regular price that has not been marked down,” says Jessica Spangler, the influencer, author and money educator behind @ecommjess with 735,000 TikTok followers, in a popular video where she breaks down Costco’s pricing practices. Prices ending in 7 are marked down Most stores will strike through original costs and add a discounted price, so that you can see how much money you’re saving. When you see a price ending in .97, basically, you should grab it while you can. This means that it’s a manager’s deal that won’t be around for long and could mean an major discount. Prices ending in 49 or 79 are new products Products that end in .49 or .79 are usually manufacturer’s special deals that signify that a product is newer and could be in a trial run phase. This means that the next time you see this product on shelves, it will be at a higher cost. Prices ending in 0 are the biggest discounts When a price ends in .00, this is the lowest it is going to get. This is usually seen on non-seasonal items that are nearly out of stock or about to be discontinued. Basically, it means that the manager wants these items off the shelves as soon as possible. Prices with an asterisk are discontinued If you see an item with an * beside the price, it means that this item has already been discontinued, and again, the store wants rid of them. The price can end in any number, but if you see something with an asterisk beside it, the likelihood is that you won’t see it on shelves again. Pro tip: Check the date on the label You may need a magnifying glass for this, because the date will be tiny. However, some people on social media swear that this date could indicate that an item is due for a markdown. Costco often changes their prices to keep customers interested, so if the date on the label is a few weeks old, it could mean that you’re better holding off for a few days as the price could be discounted soon. While you’re at Costco, it would be rude not to visit the food court and grab this secret menu item that’s been hiding in plain sight.

  • Costco goes viral after releasing 3 lbs Banana Cream Pie – Dexerto

Costco goes viral after releasing 3 lbs Banana Cream Pie Instagram: @costcohotfindsCostco has revealed a new Banana Cream pie, weighing in at just over 3 pounds – and people are totally here for it. The most striking thing about the new dessert is of course its weight. A woman has gone viral on Instagram after she filmed herself making her way to the store, and visiting the bakery section to pick up one of these desserts. Laura, who goes by Costcohotfinds, regularly posts videos of the chain’s hottest items, as well as providing viewers with money-saving hacks. “I love the graham cracker butter crust,” she said, before telling viewers that it’s “so creamy and delicious.” The video has now racked up over 1.2 million views on TikTok, and over 68,000 comments on Instagram. People quickly flocked to try out the new pie for themselves, with several videos circulating TikTok of people eager to grab it. One user said they had high hopes for the dessert as they were a big banana cream pie fan, but ended up giving it a 6/10 rating. This didn’t stop viewers from wanting to try the pie, however, as one commented saying: “Omg! This looks Heavenly,” and “I’d risk my life for this.” Another person who had tried the dessert recommended: “Delicious – better if you have it cold or somewhat frozen since it’s very creamy.” The Costco pie is currently on sale and retails at $15.99, and includes real bananas, real cream filling, caramel drizzle, butter graham cracker crust, and a caramel whipped topping. This isn’t the first time Costco has gone viral for their desserts. Back in December, a woman went viral after having her birthday party at Costco, and the whole thing including the cake only cost $30.

  • Costco customers warned they could get banned for too many returns – Dexerto

Costco customers warned they could get banned for too many returns Unsplash: omar abascalA former Costco worker took to TikTok to tell customers why they might be banned for making too many returns, leaving viewers pretty shocked. Costco is a chain beloved by millions for its affordability and great food options. But, perhaps the most renowned thing about the store is its great returns policy. Not long ago, they went viral after allowing a customer to return a $1,400 playground set because his kids “grew up.” However, a TikToker revealed that there might be a limit to Costco’s generosity, and you might not always be able to take advantage of that coveted refund. “I get questions like this all the time. No matter how many times you return something, they won’t ever really kick you out. They’ll put it on file that you keep trying to return things, and there will be a block in there so it won’t allow you to return anything anymore, but your membership will still be active, you can still use it at the register,” TikToker @psychoz28 revealed. “My last example was about somebody returning a play set, something like this,” he said. “So in order to get blocked here, you’d have to do something like returning your electronics every 87 days just to get a new one so you wouldn’t have to actually pay it outright. That would get you blocked. That’s what they would consider something like a pattern of returns.” The TikToker continued: “Whenever you do return something there’s a section at the bottom of the return screen on the employee side that says ‘reason for return.’” Apparently, most employees will leave this section blank, but if they find the return reason bizarre enough, they’ll fill it in. “For example, that play set we just saw, you would put in the comments something like, ‘returned a play set because his kid grew up, be careful of anything he tries to return going forward.’” People were filled with questions after the video was posted, writing: “Now the question is – what do they do with all these not re-sellable things??” “My Costco had a guy return a snow blower, then bought a lawn tractor. Return that in fall to buy a new snow plower, repeat cycle till caught,” another said. “My favorite is the person who returned a live Christmas Tree after Christmas,” one revealed, followed by a laughing emoji. “I saw a lady come in and return a cake she tried to decorate herself. She didn’t like her own design so she returned it. They said it was the 3rd time that day,” another user said. Another woman went viral for her Costco cake story, as she celebrated her whole birthday there for only $30.

  • Costco customers devastated as popular item discontinued due to “rising costs” – Dexerto

Costco customers devastated as popular item discontinued due to “rising costs” Unsplash: omar abascalCostco regulars are expressing their disappointment after discovering fan-favorite cookies have been changed, with the story going viral on social media. On July 31, a Reddit user revealed Kirkland Signature chocolate chips had been replaced after they visited their local store. In an accompanying photograph, they revealed what’s taken their place – Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels. “They completely replaced the chocolate chips with Nestle,” the caption states. The post quickly gained attention on the Costco subreddit, as others were devastated by the news. It even led to some investigations by customers, with one emailing Costco directly to get answers regarding the switch. Fortunately, they emailed back, but it wasn’t good news. “We are unfortunately moving forward with discontinuing the KS Chocolate Chips,” Costco revealed, explaining that the decision was “due to the rising costs of cocoa.” “This was a decision we put an extreme amount of consideration into, but the reality is, the cost our suppliers were presenting us, would no longer make our Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chips a value against national brands like Nestle Toll House,” they continued. There was some hope, however, as they disclosed “It’s likely we will stay out of KS for at least 12 months, but our long-term plan is to offer the item again in the future.” Customers were heartbroken, to say the least. “It’s my only go-to! Nothing else compares and I tried to find something as good when they discontinued them a few years back,” one commented. “Well I for one would cheerfully rather pay an extra buck fifty to buy Kirkland instead of Nestle, but I guess they’ve made their point,” another stated. “It’s a major disappointment to be sure. It’s not gone forever but they are superior to Nestle in every way,” one proclaimed. Another said Kirkland were “seriously the best chocolate chips ever.” This isn’t the first time a discontinued fan-favorite has caused viral outrage. Back in January, McDonald’s brought back one of their most popular items that they had discontinued after petitions.

  • Costco customer kicked out of store for buying too many dumplings – Dexerto

Costco customer kicked out of store for buying too many dumplings TikTok: patriciaisabelleA woman was kicked out of Costco after purchasing too many dumpling platters. Dumpling connoisseur Patricia Isabelle recently took to TikTok to explain how she was forced out of Costco for buying too many dumplings. Having multiple videos on TikTok of herself eating Costco’s dumplings, Patricia was no beginner when it came to the Chinese dish. Since being kicked out, Patricia has expressed her anger, saying she left enough dumplings for others, so she didn’t understand why she couldn’t buy more. Costco put a “limit” on customer’s dumpling purchase Explaining what happened, Patricia said Costco told her she had to “limit” her dumpling intake. Though she didn’t disclose how many platters she bought, it was enough to give her the boot. Patricia went on to say that Costco is a “bulk store,” so she couldn’t understand what the big deal was that she wanted to buy so many. Patricia then said she may have taken “a lot of dumplings” but left enough for others. She also felt that Costco was just trying to pick a fight with her for no reason. Viewers of Patricia’s viral TikTok agreed with her, saying, “You’re supposed to buy stuff there in big quantities.” And, “Forget ’em, get your dumplings girl!!!” Another customer of Costco chimed in with a word of advice, saying Patricia should use self-checkout next time because the machines don’t put purchase limits on products. One viewer even commented on how good the Costco dumplings are, “I just tried those dumplings probably about a month ago. I’ve had them two times so far, and they are sooo good.” Though Patricia wasn’t allowed to buy as many dumplings as she wanted in that instance, she didn’t exactly say she was kicked out for good. Fortunately, she’ll likely be able to buy more Costco dumplings in the future to support her affinity for them.

  • Connecticut diner’s “deep-fried plastic” pancake burrito causes internet outrage – Dexerto

Connecticut diner’s “deep-fried plastic” pancake burrito causes internet outrage TikTok: @DEVOURPOWERA Connecticut diner’s pancake burrito has caused internet outrage with its bizarre use of certain ingredients. Human civilisation five thousand years ago couldn’t even dream of the food luxuries we have nowadays, with the clever additives and chemicals scientists can concoct allowing for absurdities like delicious tasting maple syrup with absolutely zero calories. Chefs and restaurants aren’t complacent, however, and still push for new ideas and recipes that are going to have customers flocking to their venue. One restaurant in Connecticut devised a plan for a new, hit meal, involving a combination of pancakes, burritos, and churros. One of these was called the Churro Brunch Pancake Double Buritto. However, the sugary burrito was not handled well by the internet, which found it an absurd mixture of ingredients. Internet is not a fan of this honey pancake burrito Popular food TikTok account @DEVOURPOWER shared Elm Street Diner’s “Churro Brunch Pancake Double Burrito” on social media. In the video, they explained that the burrito contains a mixture of pancakes, sausage, bacon, shredded cheese, and honey, all made crispy in a deep fryer at the end. But viewers had some interesting, less positive things to say about the food invention: “See, I thought this was going to be burrito that used the pancake as the tortilla and I would have been cool with that. Then it just got progressively worse as the video went on including frying plastic,” one viewer commented, referring to the toothpicks with plastic ends that were used to hold the buritto together while it was frying. If deep frying plastic wasn’t enough, other people pointed out that the sugar level included in just this one meal was insane. “Only 3,000 calories and 200% your daily recommended intake of sugar!,” joked one person. Still, despite viewers’ critiques of the food, other people thought that Elm Street Diner’s creation was a nice guilty pleasure meal that could be enjoyed every once in a while.

Coca-Cola explains why they’ve discontinued two fan-favorite drinks Coca-ColaThere’s bad news for Coca-Cola fans, as the brand has discontinued two of its most popular drink variations, leaving customers feeling disappointed, with Coke now explaining their decisions. The news came in a Twitter/X post issued by the brand, confirming they’d officially removed Diet Coke Splenda from shelves. Splenda is a sweetener, offering an alternative to the more regular Aspartame-sweetened diet drinks. A customer contacted them asking why they couldn’t locate the drinks in UK supermarkets anymore, writing: “@CocaCola do you all have Diet Coke with Splenda still? I’m allergic to aspartame.” Coca-Cola’s corporate account replied: “Hi, Audrei. Unfortunately, Diet Coke with Splenda has been discontinued. We’re sorry for any disappointment.” It’s safe to say that the product’s removal has left customers longing in its wake, with Redditors sad to see it leave: “Please tell me I’m not the only one who thought Diet Coke with Splenda was the best soda on the planet! It was so good! I love Diet Coke, but this was even better than regular Diet Coke! Do they even still make this?” “I gained weight when it disappeared! By far the tastiest soda product, with 0 calories & no headache from aspartame. I wish they’d start making it again,” one responded. “Agree. Sucralose is my preferred artificial sweetener. Tastes the closest to real sugar in my opinion.” Aspartame is a popular sweetener that’s used globally in Coca-Cola products, being the exclusive sugar substitute used by the company in the US. It turns out Diet Coke with Splenda wasn’t the only beverage removed from UK shelves. In another Twitter/X post made on September 2, a user speculated: “I think @CocaCola discontinued Cherry Vanilla Coke in the bottle, I haven’t seen it in months.” The brand confirmed this, responding: “Great question! We decided to discontinue Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla due to consumers’ taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing. As a Total Beverage Company, we are always searching for ways to evolve our product portfolio to bring consumers the beverages they want.” Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla was first released in February of 2020 after it generated immense popularity at Coca-Cola Freestyle machines; soda fountains which allow consumers to mix different Coca Cola flavors together to create new drink combinations. In April, PepsiCo were forced to recall more than 200 cases of Schweppes Ginger Ale. It turned out that this product that was advertised as being sugar-free, was actually packed full of sugar, leading to an investigation.

Coca-Cola release popcorn flavored drink and people are torn Coca-ColaCoca-Cola have released a new flavor, and despite its popularity among some customers, some aren’t so sure about it. The new flavor is popcorn, and it has a super buttery flavor that’s reminiscent of everyone’s favorite movie snack. The news was shared by popular food blogger @snackolator, who said: “I love drinking some Coca-Cola with popcorn so this makes sense, but then it also doesn’t make sense because it’s in the coke itself!” He asked his audience if they’d like to try the new flavor, and it’s safe to say that people were totally divided. Many were intrigued by the new treat, writing: “This actually might be good. I think everyone thinks you might get a buttery flavor but I don’t think so. I’d try it.” “I just tried it this week in Germany! it was surprisingly good? ! would definitely get again,” another revealed. However, some weren’t sold, saying: “Why would you do something so disrespectful to a McDonald’s crispy coke.” “As much as I’d want most of these new things in America… I’m thankful we don’t have this one,” one proclaimed. One Instagram user had a suggestion for trying the new drink, writing: “It’s kinda weird. Maybe you could try soaking popcorn in cola. Then drink it.” Unfortunately, if you want to dig in to the new beverage, you might need to hop on a flight, as it’s currently only available in Germany. This isn’t the first time Coca-Cola have gone viral. Back in May, they unveiled a new limited-edition flavor “Wozzaah” flavor that celebrated African culture. The drink is said to taste like Coke Zero mixed with “blazing fruit flavor”. Although the brand has not revealed what these fruits actually are, customers can expect a tropical flavor explosion.

  • Cleaner sues law firm after being fired for eating leftover tuna sandwich – Dexerto

Cleaner sues law firm after being fired for eating leftover tuna sandwich YouTube: Brian LagerstromA cleaner is suing her former employer after being fired for eating a tuna sandwich that was left over from a meeting at a law firm. Single mom Gabriela Rodriguez is taking legal action against a London-based law firm, Devonshires Solicitors, after she was fired for a reason that’s leaving netizens stunned. Rodriguez, who immigrated to the UK from Ecuador, says she was let go from her job after eating a tuna sandwich that was left over from a meeting at the firm. The tuna sandwich in question was purchased from Tesco, a British supermarket chain, for about $1.90. Although it was due to be thrown away after the meeting, Rodriguez decided not to let it go to waste — but her employer, Total Clean, says she “stole” the sandwich, taking “client property … without authority or reasonable excuse.” Single mother reportedly fired for eating leftover tuna sandwich Although Devonshires Solicitors was said to have complained about the incident to Total Clean, they denied any claims of bringing up the situation to the cleaning company. “Devonshires did not make a formal complaint against Gabriela or ask for any action to be taken against her,” a spokesperson for the firm said in a statement. “Total Clean carried out their own investigation and the decision to dismiss Gabriela was taken without any input or influence from Devonshires whatsoever. “This is a private matter between Total Clean and Gabriela, but we have made clear to Total Clean that we would not object, as we never have done, to Gabriela attending and working on our premises if Total Clean changes its position.” Now, Gabriela and the United Voices of the World union are taking legal action against both Total Clean and Devonshires for her firing… but the firm refuses to support her case. Protestors gathered around the outside of the law firm in support of Rodriguez, boasting signs reading “Sacked for a sandwich,” and “Justice for Gabriela.” This is just the latest odd firing that’s gone viral on social media after an art director claimed she was sacked for being “too efficient” at her job.

  • Chipotle reveals $50 million plan to make bigger bowls after viral demand – Dexerto

Chipotle reveals $50 million plan to make bigger bowls after viral demand ChipotleChipotle has responded to customers’ demands regarding portion sizes, and are investing a substantial amount of money to give consumers what they’ve been asking for. Throughout the past year, we’ve witnessed several viral videos circulating TikTok of Chipotle customers inventing ‘hacks’ to get bigger portion sizes from the chain as they claimed the portions were getting smaller. One of these hacks that went viral involved people entering Chipotle, and filming their servers in the hope that they give ‘proper’ portion sizes if they know they are on camera. There was even a study conducted to analyze the size of the burrito bowls, where Wells Fargo analyst Zachary Fadem and his team bought and weighed 75 burrito bowls. The study found that the heaviest bowl weighed 47% more than the lightest. The weight varied even more substantially in digital orders, with the heaviest bowl weighing 87% more than the lightest. They concluded that there was a disparity between portion sizes. Now, Chipotle has taken note of customer feedback and is planning to increase the portion sizes offered by stores. According to Brian Niccol, the company’s CEO, 10% of Chipotle’s 3,500 restaurants are outliers in their portion sizes. To fix this, the chains offering deficient portion sizes will receive further training to make sure the correct portion sizes are met. This could potentially cost the company $50 million. Despite this, Niccol revealed: “Generous portion is a core brand equity of Chipotle. It always has been, and it always will be.” Chief financial officer of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Jack Hartung told Bloomberg that with this new incentive, each customer should receive two substantial scoops of rice and four ounces of meat. Chipotle has also been going viral for a particular protein option that they use in their burritos called barbacoa, but it turns out that most people don’t actually know what it is.

  • Chipotle responds to viral “hack” of customers filming to get bigger portions – Dexerto

Chipotle responds to viral “hack” of customers filming to get bigger portions TikTokChipotle has responded to customers filming their orders being prepared in an attempt to get larger portions. There have been rumors for a long time that Chipotle ‘skimps’ on its portion sizes, so much so that a fan invented a website where you can track what restaurants are prone to giving out small portions. It’s in the same vein as the website that tracks broken McDonald’s ice cream machines, and it’s called stoptheskimp.com. To combat these issues, fans started review-bombing Chipotle and making countless videos of their experiences in stores. A ‘hack’ emerged wherein fans were going into a Chipotle restaurant, placing an order, and filming the staff while they made their meal. The theory behind this is that they will give you ‘proper’ portion sizes if they know they are on camera: Lots of these videos have gone viral, sparking a conspiracy that Chipotle were doing ‘damage control’ by instructing their staff to give out fuller portions when they are being filmed. On May 28, Chipotle responded to the speculation, stating, “there have been no changes in [the company’s] portion sizes.” in an interview with People Magazine. Laurie Schalow, chief corporate affairs and food safety officer at Chipotle, noted: “Our intentions are to provide a great experience every time, and our meals have always been completely customizable so guests can vocalize or digitally select their desired portions when choosing from the list of real ingredients,” she said, adding that customers have always been allowed to request more or less of something when ordering.” This outrage started after popular food TikToker Keith Lee posted a video on May 3, reviewing some of Chipotle’s most popular menu items. Lee, who had previously had his own quesadilla partnership with Chipotle, did not outwardly encourage his fans to start this hack, but his review is mostly negative: The TikTok, which now has nearly 17 million views, shows Lee trying to find a single piece of chicken in his entire meal, which he states is “freezing cold.” The bowl, which costs around $12-$13, only had four pieces of chicken, leading him to conclude, “I don’t mean no harm in no kind of way. Something changed, and I don’t know what it is.” Although Chipotle claims that their portion sizes have not changed, they did confirm that “we have reinforced proper portioning with our employees,” which could mean that you’ll notice a difference in your burrito bowl next time you order. If you want more out of your next Chipotle experience, there is a viral hack to get a burrito for under $4.

If you want to get your hands on these Halloween costumes, you can pick them up in Spirit Halloween stores or on their website. Chipotle isn’t the only brand gearing up for Halloween; Starbucks had their Halloween cups leaked and they’re spooktacular.

  • Chipotle hack to get burrito for under $4 has the internet divided – Dexerto

Chipotle hack to get burrito for under $4 has the internet divided ChipotleIn a new video that is making its rounds on Instagram, a man shared a hack for getting a $4 burrito from Chipotle, and viewers aren’t quite sure what to make of it. The video was posted by content creator Blake Carmona, who regularly shares recipes and hacks on his Instagram account. He titled the video in question: “How to Get Chipotle Under $4!” For reference, a regular burrito from Chipotle costs $14.75. In the video, he entered a Chipotle store and ordered a hard shell taco, and told viewers to grab “whatever toppings they want.” “This has to go mega viral,” Blake said. He then instructed viewers to pick up half and half of rice and beans “because they give you more.” Finally, he ordered a tortilla on the side. The video then cuts to Blake sitting at the table, ready to construct his burrito. He packs all of the taco ingredients inside the tortilla and then crumbles up the hard shell on top of them. Blake then said to order the sauces on the side because “they give you a ton.” He then puts his rolling skills to the test, and packs up the burrito in expert fashion. After the video was posted on the platform, people weren’t sure how to feel about Blake’s hack. Many were grateful, writing: “You held me down today, bless your heart.” “Yessss let’s go,” another wrote, clearly excited to try it out themselves. Some weren’t so convinced though, and thought the burrito looked less than impressive: “That’s not a burrito, that’s a light snack.” “That’s what I eat while my main food is heating up,” another joked. This isn’t the first time food influencers have shared hacks for getting bigger portions at Chipotle. In April, a woman shared her unusual way of getting a bigger bowl at Chipotle, and even the fast food chain themselves responded.

Chipotle fans praise restaurant prices after seeing how meals are prepped Chipotle, TikTokAfter a TikToker showcased a video of how they prep the food at Chipotle, people couldn’t believe the work that went into the whole process. Chipotle prices have been the subject of debate for a long time, with many fans complaining that the prices are far too high. In December, an actual Chipotle employee warned fans that they were being skimped, claiming that the chain was doing it on purpose. Now, however, in a video that’s since been deleted, people have changed their minds, witnessing the extensive meal prep that happens behind the scenes. A TikToker named Jari, who regularly posts Chipotle content, uploaded a video titled “Day in the life of a Chipotle employee.” In the video, we can see that she gets to work super early: “As you guys can see, I’m just cutting up the lettuce, and it’s, like, around 7:17 am, and I’m here alone prepping by myself,” she says. “After every product, you have to take the dishes back to the dishwasher, spray them off, and run them through… And make sure you wipe down and sanitize your area.” She then goes on to finely chop the onions, eyes watering, before prepping the peppers, cilantro and guacamole. The video finishes off with Jari serving her first customer. TikTok weighs in on Chipotle prices after seeing meal prep After the video was posted on TikTok, people couldn’t wait to weigh in and share their opinions, with many eager to praise the poster for her hard work: “I love how everything is fresh! Didn’t realize yall work that hard!” “I didn’t know you guys do this ALL by hand!! Another Chipotle worker went viral, after they were assaulted by a customer. They did, however, get their revenge.

  • Chipotle employee claims they were fired for “grazing” on shift despite being told to taste test – Dexerto

Chipotle employee claims they were fired for “grazing” on shift despite being told to taste test Joe Raedle via MashedA disgruntled Chipotle allegedly employee was fired for eating tortilla chips on shift, even though staff are supposedly told to taste test food for quality assurance. An employee who had been working at Chipotle for just over a month was allegedly fired for doing something that staff are told to do, and they are not happy about it. According to other employees, taste tasting is encouraged by the franchise to ensure that the food is tasting as it should. The employee made a post on social media asking for advice from other Chipotle employees about whether this firing was fair. Fired for eating a tortilla chip at work It was the first time that this person had been “put on chips” and was responsible for frying up those tortilla chips that are essential with any burrito at Chipotle. The person who had worked this station the night before had used the wrong oil in the fryer, and the employee was concerned about how this would affect the flavor of the chips. The employee then claims that they were tasting the chips to ensure that they were up to standard, and that their trainer had told them to, “taste every two to three batches to make sure they were coming out okay.” Based on what they had been told, the employee saw no problem with trying a tortilla chip or two, but was later called into the office by their assistant general manager and fired for “grazing.” The employee was furious and stated that this had caught them by surprise, alleging that there was, “No warning. No write-up. No nothing.” They then added that their general manager contacted them after the fact and said that they were also being fired because they were “learning too slowly.” The former employee was distraught and posted asking other Chipotle employees for advice as they claim they were unable to sign up for unemployment benefits because, “grazing is considered theft.” Adding, “What the f**k dude, f**k this place, are you f**king kidding me?” Another Chipotle employee commented on the post, reaffirming that Chipotle does indeed encourage its staff to try the food: Although it is not specified whether the former employee was able to get their old job back after being allegedly unfairly dismissed, it is clear that they were furious with the situation and will not make the mistake of getting caught eating on shift again.

Chipotle fans managed to get fan-favorite item back on menu ChipotleChipotle fans were serious about getting Chicken al Pastor back in their burritos. The popular menu item is now making a return thanks to fans persistent requests on social media. Chipotle launched their Chicken al Pastor in March 2023 across their restaurants in North America, Europe and the UK. The new flavor turned out to be a smash hit. Which is why fans were so devastated when it left the menu in August. Disappointed fans quickly took to social media, flooding the brand’s official accounts with messages, begging the fast-food chain to put it back on the menu. According to Chipotle, there were more requests about Chicken al Pastor “on social media than any other limited time offering in the brand’s history.” And fans were willing to go to extreme lengths to see the chain bring the beloved chicken back. Some fans even said they’d name their first-born child after the chicken dish. While others offered to tattoo the words “Chicken al Pastor” on various parts of their bodies, including the forehead. According to the company’s Chief Brand Officer, Chris Brandt, “one in five” transactions during 2023 at Chipotle included Chicken al Pastor. “We are thrilled to make this the fastest item to ever come back to Chipotle.” He said. But just what’s in this dish fans are so passionate about? What’s in Chipotle’s Chicken al Pastor? Chipotle also gave fans some insight into what to pick in their next Chicken al Pastor burrito bowl. TikToker Whoizzjordan (whoizzjordan) took to his platform to reveal the viral food hack he uses to get a Chipotle burrito for the cost of a single taco. “We’re gonna do the $3 taco that you fill up to make a burrito,” Jordan began in his video. “I know I got a lot of comments saying ‘it’s all cap,’ but I’m gonna make sure you know that it’s not cap.” He then approached a Chipotle worker behind the counter. “Could I just get a taco?” Jordan inquired, before asking for the single taco be put in a bowl. “It’s gonna be to-go,” he said, as he placed his order. Jordan then instructed the worker to put two full scoops of white rice and beans into the taco. “Just a little bit more,” he requested when he was dissatisfied with the quantity of beans. The Chipotle worker added chicken along with full servings of cheese, corn, and lettuce into the bowl. “Little more, please. Or a lot more,” Jordan said, still not satisfied with the amount of toppings. Wrapping up the hack, the TikToker went on to request an extra tortilla on the side. The video then cuts to Jordan, showing all the food he got for just $3.88. He revealed that he was going to make a burrito using all the additional toppings he added to his taco, along with the tortilla. TikTok users had mixed reactions to the trick, with some less than impressed. “Bro begging for more, that’s not a hack that’s sad,” one person commented. “Not worth the embarrassment,” another added, to which Jordan replied, “Saved almost 1k doing this, pretty worth it ngl.” Others said they tried the hack or wanted to give it a go. “I GOTTA TRY THIS,” one user wrote. “Just tried it, it works but small portions,” another shared.

Chipotle brings back most-requested item but not for long ChipotleThere’s some big news for Chipotle lovers, as the chain has decided to bring back its most popular item ever, the Smoked Brisket, but it’s only here for a limited time so make sure to grab it while it lasts. After three long years, the Back Smoked Brisket has finally made its way onto menus. In a press release, Chipotle announced it had been their “top requested item,” since it was removed, and caused viral demand on their social media accounts. “We are listening to our guests and bringing this fan-favorite menu innovation out of the vault after three years,” said Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer. “This premium protein is sure to delight guests looking to taste the difference of brisket prepared the Chipotle way.” They claim that their Smoked Brisket is not your standard brisket meal, and it all comes down to how it’s prepared. It’s made with responsibly raised beef, seared on the plancha and seasoned with an array of different spices. The meat is chopped by hand into smaller bite-sized chunks and coated in a brisket sauce made from smoky chili peppers. Chipotle chefs prepare the brisket in smaller batches throughout the day to guarantee it stays as fresh as possible before consumption. The Smoked Brisket will be available nationwide across the U.S. and Canada, but only for a limited time. How long exactly is unclear though, as Chipotle hasn’t stated when the limited run will end. The chain is also offering a brand new deal to accompany the returning fan-favorite, with $0 delivery fees if you order via the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com, and Chipotle.ca. Bear in mind that this deal is also limited, running from Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 29. If you’re planning on heading over to your local Chipotle store to grab your brisket, why not get into the spooky holiday spirit and don a festive costume? Chipotle have just launched a bizzare new costume line that lets you dress up as your favorite burrito this Halloween.

  • Chipotle customer convinced employees are selling their own food – Dexerto

Chipotle customer convinced employees are selling their own food YouTube: DevourPowerTV, blakesmunchiesA Chipotle customer is convinced that employees at their local spot are selling their own food, sparking a storm of speculation and outrage among fans of the popular chain. Chipotle is a popular fast-casual restaurant chain in the United States that serves up burritos, tacos, and burrito bowls all made according to customers’ specifications. Despite Chipotle’s seemingly never-wavering popularity, the chain has come under public scrutiny lately due to its portion sizes… as well as a rash of food poisoning incidents that caused the company to pay out $25 million back in 2020. Now, Chipotle is facing a different kind of criticism after a fan of the fast food spot said that employees at their local chain were selling their own food alongside other official options. Chipotle fan reports restaurant after speculating employees sold their own food as “special” On January 14, 2024, a Reddit user claimed that their local Chipotle was selling a selection of “mac and cheese, ribs, and mashed potatoes.” Although they said these new items were “really good,” they worried that the employees were making this food at home to sell at the restaurant, and wondered if they shouldn’t report the incident. “They said it was a ‘special’ and that that happens sometimes,” they explained. “I’ve never seen it before. I suspect the employees are selling their own food out of the Chipotle.” After reaching out to Chipotle, a representative told the poster that the chain was trying out some new things at certain locations. The poster gave the rep the location’s information, but felt guilty for possibly putting the employees’ jobs at risk. When they returned for more food at a later date, the poster asked a manager about the extra food on offer — and the manager “looked at me like I had two heads and said that ‘this is Chipotle.’” It seemed like the manager wasn’t aware of the extra food being sold at their location, and after some prodding from Redditors, the poster eventually called their non-emergency line to report the restaurant. “It sounds like I might actually be a victim of this Chipotle falsely selling food to me that they said is Chipotle. Figuring out what my legal options are. I don’t want this to become too big of a deal but it seems like this isn’t right and someone has to do something about it.” While there’s no way to verify if the poster’s story is true, quite a few commenters think the entire thing was made up, while others speculated that the spot might double as a “ghost kitchen.” This is just the latest Chipotle-related drama to go viral online after a woman was sentenced to work a fast-food job for two months as punishment for assaulting a Chipotle worker.

  • Chili’s new burger and value meal is Big Mac’s best dupe – Dexerto

Chili’s new burger and value meal is Big Mac’s best dupe McDonald’s / Chili’sChili’s has just released an all-new burger that looks uncannily like a Big Mac, and there’s a brand new value meal to go along with it. McDonald’s released their value meal back in June after they, and many other fast food chains, had a decline in customers due to an exponential rise of fast food prices. Now, fast-casual restaurant Chili’s is coming to the rescue of disenchanted fast food customers, with their new burger The Smasher. Chili’s reported at 15% rise in their sales, thanks to their new “3 For Me” promotion that allows customers to get a fountain drink, entree, and appetizer, all for $10.99. Fans can choose from quesadillas, pasta, chicken tenders, steaks, and of course, the all-new Big Smasher Burger. Appetizers can include chips and salsa, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, or a classic portion of fries if you really want to feel like you’re at the Golden Arches. This burger contains a beef patty, American cheese, iceberg lettuce, pickles, and special sauce. Chili’s may not name the Big Mac in their advertisement, but they do compare their new burger to an unmarked burger that contains two patties and three buns. Where have we seen that before? Chili’s doesn’t always get the best reputation, and people often place it in the “so bad, it’s good category”, but this burger looks to be a shining star on their menu. Social media conversations tracked by Chili’s showed that customers were “frustrated by fast food prices,” CEO Kevin Hochman said in a April earnings call, prompting them to run ads that “use fast food as a foil.” They describe the Big Smasher as having “twice the beef of a Big Mac and flavors fast food lovers will recognize.” If you’re not sure what appetizer to go for in your 3 For Me deal, check out the secret menu mozzarella sticks that are going viral.

  • Chili’s takes aim at McDonald’s with new burger to rival the Big Mac – Dexerto

Chili’s takes aim at McDonald’s with new burger to rival the Big Mac Chilli’sChilli’s are turning up the heat with their new burger that they believe is set to rival McDonald’s, packing on almost twice as much beef. McDonald’s is implementing a lot of changes to their burgers in 2024 as a part of their ‘best burger’ initiative. This means that they’re altering the way the meat is seared on the grill, as well as replacing the bun with a softer version. In addition to this, according to the most recent quarter earnings call on April 30, they confirmed that they’d be increasing the size of burger patties. CFO Ian Borden announced: “As we look to further build on our leadership in beef, our team of chefs from around the world have created a larger satiating burger.” But whether or not it will be large enough to compete with Chili’s new offering is yet to be decided. The Texan burger chain has brought out its latest heavyweight item, the Big Smasher, and it’s set to go toe-to-toe with competitors. The new burger has twice as much beef as a Big Mac, with nearly half a pound of hand-smashed beef. This is quite sizeable compared to the Big Mac, which only weighs in at 3.2 ounces. In addition to the nearly half-pound burger patty, the new Big Smasher Burger also features diced red onions, lettuce, pickles, Thousand Island dressing, and American cheese. To help save on fast food costs, Chili’s is also offering a new deal that customers can take advantage of called the 3 for Me menu. With this deal, customers can get a bottomless drink, bottomless chips and salsa, the new burger, and a side of fries for $10.99. “We know diners are experiencing sticker shock from the rising cost of fast food, with little change to the actual quantity or quality of fast food combo meals,” George Felix, Chili’s chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “We believe that Chili’s 3 for Me offers better value than you’ll find in any drive-thru and, with the all-new Big Smasher burger, we just made the 3 for Me even better. We believe our guests can enjoy better quality, better pricing and a better experience every time.” The Big Smasher is currently available for purchase at all Chili’s locations across the US. There are more fast food releases to get excited about this May, as Dunkin’ have revealed their all-new summer lineup.

  • Chili’s customer disgusted after finding moldy “fur coat” in food – Dexerto

Chili’s customer disgusted after finding moldy “fur coat” in food TikTok: squeakychiquiA woman was baffled after opening a moldy container of pico de gallo from her Chili’s to-go order. TikToker Squeaks recently placed a to-go order from Chili’s. Though she anticipated eating a quesadilla with multiple dips, Squeaks was shocked when she found mold in her spicy side. There was so much mold in her pico de gallo that it blanketed the top of it, so you could barely tell what it was. Though Squeaks was more than disgusted, she said she’d still be going to Chili’s, just in a different location. Viewers call amount of mold in Chili’s food “insane” Squeaks ordered a 3-for-me meal from Chili’s for $10.99. Excited to eat, she took all the covers off of her queso, salsa, and quesadilla. However, when she got to the pico de gallo, there was what Squeaks referred to as a “fur coat,” on top of it. When she showed her TikTok following just how moldy it was, viewers reacted with just as much disgust. “I would have had a panic attack right then and there,” wrote one user. Another viewer added, “That’s actually insane.” Chilis even added their two cents and pleaded to make it right, “This is completely unacceptable. We’d like to talk to you to learn which restaurant this happened at and make it right for you.” Squeaks responded to Chili’s by saying she was told by employees that their Chili’s would soon be under “investigation” to ensure nobody else is served mold. Though Squeaks wasn’t impressed, she said she’ll still be ordering from Chili’s, as she was given a $30 gift card for her troubles.

  • Chick-Fil-A’s plans to launch “family friendly” streaming platform leave viewers annoyed – Dexerto

Chick-Fil-A’s plans to launch “family friendly” streaming platform leave viewers annoyed Unsplash.com: Brad, minimdesigncoStep aside, Netflix — a new player is entering the streaming game, and it comes with a side of waffle fries. American fast-food chain Chick-Fil-A is stepping into the streaming world, reportedly set to launch its very own broadcasting platform with original content. The chain is making plans to compete with major broadcasting platforms like HBO to provide “family friendly” shows, as reported by Deadline on August 21, 2024. As per the outlet, Chick-Fil-A is cooking up a slew of original content, working alongside several production companies with a focus on making unscripted series that are appropriate for all audiences. That’s not all; the company is also working to license existing content, such as a game show from Glassman Media and Sugar23, the studio behind 13 Reasons Why. This isn’t the chain’s first foray into the entertainment biz, though. Previously, the company created a series of short, animated films titled ‘Stories of Evergreen Hills.’ Chick-Fil-A’s “family friendly” attitude toward its upcoming series isn’t anything new for the business. Much of its values stem from the Christian beliefs of its founder, S. Truett Cathy, who was a Southern Baptist. It’s common knowledge in the US that the chain is closed on Sundays, as well as major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. Chick-Fil-A is just the latest major company to break into the streaming world. It joins the likes of Lyft and AirBnB, each of which previously made series like game show Lucky Lyft and documentary Gay Chorus Deep South, respectively. Thus far, Chick-Fil-A has yet to offer a public statement regarding this news… but netizens appear largely baffled and slightly annoyed at this turn of events. “Just put the fries in the bag, bro,” one user wrote, referencing the popular TikTok trend. “At this point, I’m about to go back to cable,” another said. “Who asked for a Chick-Fil-A streaming platform, bro?” another queried. Several fast-food chains are stepping up their game lately, such as Mcdonald’s, who brought back its beloved collectible cups that are already reselling for hundreds of dollars online.

Chick-fil-A’s waffle fry change has TikTok totally freaking out Facebook: Chick-fil-A Central & McCordChick-fil-A have made a big change to their iconic waffle fries this year, and TikTok isn’t sure how to feel about it. On their official website, Chick-fil-A states, “This recipe change is part of a test to maintain the same great flavor guests have come to love, with one change—making our waffle fries crispier.” They haven’t been rolled out nationwide, but are instead part of a new test run by Chick-fil-A to gain customer feedback on the new recipe. The new recipe contains several new starches that weren’t used in the original recipe, causing some debate among customers who aren’t sure how to feel about the new change. In a TikTok slideshow that’s gained over 8 million views, user @kxmilxi responded to the new switch. She wrote “But baby I don’t wanna say goodbye” in the caption, with a picture of the original Waffle Fries in the forefront. “I LEAVE AMERICA FOR 2 WEEKS AND THIS HAPPENS,” one wrote in all capitals. “Noo what? I loved their waffle fries,” one said, fearing that they were going away. “They’re just testing out new fries guys, it’s ok, Waffle Fries are here to stay,” another reassured. Adding to the confusion, Chick-fil-A is also testing out new french fries in one super exclusive location. After an image was shared revealing the new fries, customers were concerned that Waffle Fries were being scrapped. However, the chain came out with a reassuring statement for customers that read: “Chick-fil-A Guests do not need to worry – our much-loved Waffle Fries are not going anywhere!” Chick-fil-A isn’t the only fast food joint making waves with their fries. Both McDonald’s and Wendy’s announced that they were giving away free fries all summer long.

Chick-Fil-A worker terrifies viewers with “uncanny” appearance TikTok: dogface_xA Chick-Fil-A worker is going viral on TikTok, leaving viewers terrified due to her “uncanny” appearance in a confusing video. Fast food workers have gone viral on social media numerous times over the years, but this latest incident is throwing netizens for a major loop. For example, a Jimmy John’s employee took TikTok by storm earlier this week after tossing a customer’s sandwich in the trash when they could only pay with cash, sparking a heated debate online. Now, another fast food worker is going viral thanks to her odd mannerisms and “uncanny” appearance, leaving viewers both stumped and scared. Chick-Fil-A worker goes viral for “terrifying” the internet A video is taking over TikTok, originally uploaded by user ‘Reggie D’ on February 26. In the video, a woman records her interaction with a Chick-Fil-A cashier as they take her order — but the worker’s expressions are leaving viewers “terrified.” The woman’s eyes are wide open, looking dumbfounded by the customer’s requests, and at one point she even stares directly into the camera. “No Chick-Fil-A sauce?” she asks sarcastically, bantering with the customer as though she were ‘shocked’ at her order. The video has racked up over 21 million views in just two days, leaving commenters floored and somewhat confused by the interaction. “What in the uncanny valley,” one user wrote. “That was actually terrifying, it’s 2 AM,” another said. “I felt like she saw me!” another wrote. Even streaming star xQc reacted to the odd video, looking flabbergasted after watching it during one of his broadcasts. “What the f*ck?” he said. “Chat, what the f*ck is this?” However, some users say that the worker “seems fun” — but it’s clear that she’s left most of the internet totally terrified.

  • Chick-fil-A’s 2024 Summer menu leaked with two new items revealed – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A’s 2024 Summer menu leaked with two new items revealed TikTokChick-fil A’s Summer menu 2024 is due to drop on June 10 and fans can expect two new menu items that will satisfy your sweet and savory cravings. Fans can expect to see a brand new burger, as well as a milkshake being added to the menu for the Summer. Fans will be able to tuck into a ‘Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich’ come June 10. Chick-fil-A released a honey pimento sandwich last summer and fans loved the spicy-sweet flavor combination, so it’s great to see something in the same vein coming to stores this summer. The sandwich features lemon-herb marinated boneless chicken breast, Pepper Jack cheese, green leaf lettuce, and bacon, hand-tossed in a brown sugar and pepper blend. For a “swicy” kick, it will be topped with sweet and spicy pickle chips. And to quench that down with, Chick-fil-A will be bringing back the beloved peach milkshake – perfect for those hot summer days. The maple pepper bacon sandwich was previously in select locations only, but will now be available nationwide, and the peach milkshake has been part of several summer releases. Although the price of the new sandwich has not yet been confirmed, when it was tested in 2023 it cost $6.95 and can be served with either grilled or fried chicken. The peach milkshake has retailed for $3.45 in previous years. Although this release is exciting news for fans, some people on Reddit were left wishing other menu items were making a return. One user commented, “Bring back the pimento sandwich. That one was incredible.” This comment sparked some replies that hinted that this menu item could make a comeback in the Fall. On top of that, some other users were hoping for a previously tested menu item, The Pretzel Cheddar Club, to make it to the nationwide stage. However, this item was only tested in April 2024, and in the past it has taken several months for test items to make it nationwide, so time will tell if fans are able to nab this menu item again. Nonetheless, when the Summer 2024 official menu was leaked by a Chick-fil-A employee earlier this month, it garnered a lot of attention as fans looked forward to an exciting spicy-sweet shake-up. And with the recent announcement of their testing their most sought-after dessert, Chick-fil-A fans definitely have a lot to look forward to, as well as the rumblings of some new menu items releasing in 2024.

  • Chick-fil-A worker claims he was made to wear black uniform in 110 F for ‘Cow Appreciation Day’ – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A worker claims he was made to wear black uniform in 110 F for ‘Cow Appreciation Day’ Chick-fil-A / TikTokA Chick-fil-A employee has called out the extreme weather conditions they’ve been asked to work under, apparently all for ‘Cow Appreciation Day’. A TikTok video recently went viral, after a Chick-fil-A worker took to the platform to share their frustrations surrounding the difficult temperatures they had to face while working at the job. “When I was in high school I worked for Chick-fil-A because no other job would hire me, so I took what I could get,” he explained. “Chick-fil-A’s biggest day of the year was always Cow Appreciation Day. For anyone lucky enough to not know this, Cow Appreciation Day falls on the second Tuesday of every July and I worked in Phoenix Arizona.” “So by the time we got to mid-July, temperatures were regularly hitting 110 degrees,” he continued. “And despite the absolutely nasty conditions outside, my manager said, ‘Well we have chicken to sell.’ So myself and this other girl were put outside to work the two drive-thru lines,” he explains. “Our uniforms were all black, the sun is beating down on us. I’m sweating, but I’m also born and raised in Phoenix, so like, I kinda know how to handle it. “The girl I was working with was new to Arizona. Her body did not know how to adapt to that. It was so ridiculous they ended up assigning another person from inside to periodically like run ice and sh*t out to us to keep us from passing out.” Instead of bringing them inside, the TikToker said: “They kept me there ’cause I hadn’t passed out yet, and they said, ‘Thanks for doing such a swell job guys.’ They wouldn’t even give us a free meal to say ‘thank you’ because our staff’s meal privileges had been revoked because we ‘hadn’t earned it.’ So genuinely, nastiness across the board.” TikTok weigh in on uniform fiasco After the video was posted on the platform, many were quick to side with the staff member, some even sharing similar experiences: “This always happened in my first job. It was last summer and they would send us outside for hours at a time without water and this is north Texas where summers came be 90-100°.’ “I’m the reason we can’t be outside when it gets too hot at my cfa. I had a heart problem and passed out one day, so my mom called and threatened to get the Department of Labor involved.” One even claimed that they’d braved completely alternate weather conditions at Chick-fil-A: “The restaurant I work at has us outside too. I got sent out in a snowstorm with nothing but a jacket. Got frostbite and passed out and they still didn’t care.” Chick-fil-A also went viral this month, after a TikToker shared a hack that had the internet salivating.

Pebble ice, which has a soft and chewy texture was first introduced in the 1980’s, and has become a steady staple in many fast food restaurants across the US, including Sonic Drive-In restaurants. “So, I’ve got this thing for Chick-fil-A’s pebble ice. • Chick-fil-A makes major change to its chicken and customers are not happy – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A makes major change to its chicken and customers are not happy Unsplash: Malhar PatelChick-fil-A has announced a major change to what chicken is served in stores, resulting in some customers threatening to boycott. In 2014, fast food chain Chick-fil-A made a commitment to serving antibiotic-free chicken, a promise that was later fulfilled in 2019. However, now the company has revealed that this will no longer be possible due to supply issues, offering customers an update on what to expect on March 21. “To maintain supply of the high-quality chicken you expect from us, Chick-fil-A will shift from No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) to No Antibiotics Important To Human Medicine (NAIHM) starting in the Spring of 2024,” the announcement read. While there is no specific date yet given on when customers can expect this change to roll out, many have already expressed plans to boycott Chick-fil-A following the announcement. The fast food chain’s failure to maintain its promise of serving antibiotic-free chicken left many customers outraged by Chick-fil-A’s announcement, with one person on X (formerly Twitter) advising others to “stop eating there.” “The overuse of antibiotics can lead to antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, which means superbugs for human health,” they continued. Another person shared a similar sentiment, posting on X a screenshot of the Chick-fil-A app being deleted from their phone following the news. According to Chick-fil-A, the new changes will ensure chicken sourced for its meals is NAIHM. This means that antibiotics important to human medicine will still be avoided in the animals’ upbringing, however, if “the animal or those around it were to become sick” then animal antibiotics can be used. While many were unhappy to hear about this change, some took to social media to defend the food chain; “Got to love how uneducated people are about raising chickens and how they do need antibiotics when they are raised in bulk. Another simple outbreak in the chicken industry can literally collapse the entire industry as there’s already a shortage as it is. A compromise is necessary.”

What is this called?” “PUMP THE BREAKS… is this an all day thing? My dog, Scout, will lose his marbles!” another wrote. Does Chick-fil-A really make dog treats? Here’s the deal – though Chick-fil-A doesn’t actually make dog treats on its premises, it does hand them out to customers who ask for them. The treats are known by customers as ‘Pup Treats.’ Another TikToker went viral after purchasing the treats back in 2023. She revealed a white paper bag that had been sealed with a paw-print sticker, seemingly packed with dog treats inside. According to the Daily Meal, you can ask for dog treats at the drive-thru because many will keep them in a jar on the counter. Wide Open Eats claims that if you’re lucky enough, some locations will even hand you a ‘Pup Cup,’ which is a dollop of ice cream topped with a dog treat for your canine companion. Though they do hand out dog treats in certain locations, this might not be the case everywhere according to Chick-fil-A employees. Underneath the viral video, one commented: “Not all Chick-Fil-A’s give dog treats! The one I worked at did not.” But it’s always worth asking, as one employee wrote in saying: “At my CFAs I work at, we do offer pup cups and sometimes if you’re lucky you can get a pup cup with a treat on top!” “Most CFAs do at least do Pup Cups so ask for that and we’ll be happy to give it to you! We LOVE seeing dogs in the drive through!” another revealed. Chick-fil-A isn’t the only one offering your dog a well-earned treat, Starbucks’ Puppaccino is perfect for a warm summer’s day.

  • Chick-fil-A customers blame “greed” for prices skyrocketing in past two years – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A customers blame “greed” for prices skyrocketing in past two years Chick-Fil-AChick-fil-A menu item prices have increased by 21% in just two years as customers have slammed the fast food chain, with experts predicting that the prices are set to keep rising. With the USDA predicting that food costs will only continue to rise in 2024, customers have been looking for new ways to get the most bang for their buck when it comes to their favorite fast food purchases. This has seen many fast food giants, such as McDonalds, boost their prices, including their dollar menu, which has items that you can no longer purchase for one dollar. In Subway’s case, they have increased the price of their iconic footlong subs, which saw the demise of their $5 deal. Despite these changes being for various reasons, a new report has revealed that Chick-fil-A’s prices have increased by 21% in just two years. They have since faced backlash from customers regarding the price increases, who blamed it on “greed.” Chick-fil-A customers shocked as menu prices dramatically surge According to Newsweek, and the compiled data from Truck Empire, Chick-fil-A first upped their prices of menu items in 2022 by 15%. Just a year later, in 2023, they stated that a menu-wide increase of 6% followed. However, many experts have claimed that the 21% increase over the two years was down to inflation and the pandemic, which has grown production costs. According to Aaron Anderson, CEO and founder of franchise consulting firm Axxeum Partners, this has caused the cost of ingredients, packaging, labor and transport to soar. However, some customers were not as convinced by the reasonings. “I think it’s called greed, price gouging, and serve only those of high income. Has nothing to do with inflation. Say it like it truly is,” one customer responded. Others commented on how they avoid going to Chick-fil-A after their last visit was “totally expensive” and that the “price of a basic sandwich goes up by a dollar every January.” Whether you think Chick-fil-A is right to jump their prices so dramatically over a short space of time or not, experts believe that the rising fast food prices are set to continue. This has caused a rise in customers and ex-workers revealing their menu hacks to get your favorite items cheaper. One being a former McDonald’s chef who has explained why you should go for a more “superior” and cheaper burger than the Big Mac.

  • Chick-fil-A Dwarf House explained: Concept restaurant with exclusive menu items – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A Dwarf House explained: Concept restaurant with exclusive menu items Disney/ Chick-fil-AThere’s the KFC all-you-can-eat buffet, and the McDonald’s branches where you can get married, but did you know that Chick-fil-A have several ‘Dwarf House’ restaurants? Here’s what you need to know. These restaurants are designed to showcase the history of the chicken chain in their decor and architecture. They also have table service and an exclusive menu. Chick-fil-A has become one of the most popular fast food chains in the US with chicken being a big hit in 2024 food trends – but have you ever had a chicken sandwich in a fairytale house? What is the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House? These restaurants look like they’re straight out of the Magical Kingdom with their helter-skelter roof and small, red door (evidently for Snow White’s helpers), but where did these strange places come from? First established in the late 1980s, Dwarf House branches were opened to provide customers with a historical perspective on the brand. The restaurants are modeled after founder Truett Cathy’s first restaurant The Dwarf Grill, that opened in 1946. These restaurants are unique because they offer sit-down, counter, and drive-thru services all throughout the day and look a lot different from your local Chick-fil-A. There’s nothing actually magical about these restaurants though, and Cathy named them after dwarves because of their modest size. The Cathy family prides themselves on keeping these historical branches that provide insight into Chick-fil-A’s roots and the brand ethos found across all of their branches today: “The attachment isn’t to the brick and mortar, but to the people and the relationships.” What’s so special about Dwarf House? Aside from the fact that these restaurants are great roadside attractions for any fast-food fans, they were also where Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken sandwich was first invented. Although they serve nuggets, fries, and salads now – the chicken sandwich is what started it all, and if you want an authentic one, you need to head to your nearest Dwarf House. Dwarf House isn’t the only conceptual Chick-fil-A restaurant though, with a retro-diner-inspired Truett’s Grills in Georgia, and even a Hawaiian-inspired Truett’s Luau, also in Georgia. The Chick-fil-A Dwarf House menu The Dwarf House menu has everything that you would expect to find on a Chick-fil-A menu, with a more formal sit-down meal option if you would like. On top of that, The Dwarf House staples include Dwarf Burgers, Giant Burgers and the famous Hot Brown (a famous dish in Kentucky), which is chicken mixed with cream sauce, cheese and bacon. Macaroni & cheese, fried okra, green beans, and coleslaw are also on the list of sides. For dessert, customers can order homemade lemon, chocolate, or coconut pie. Like all other Chick-fil-A stores, you won’t find The Dwarf House open on Sundays (even fairytale characters need a day off). And, if you’re a major Chick-fil-A fan, you can even get a restaurant tour and learn about the history of the chain. Still craving more? Chick-fil-A’s summer menu was leaked, and it’s looking rather tasty.

Chick-fil-A customer surprised after receiving handwritten note from worker inside Chick-Fil-AA Chick-fil-A customer had a surprise when she unpacked her order from the chain, as she found a handwritten note from a worker inside. Chick-fil-A have just finished celebrating Sunshine Week, which runs from March 11-16. The goal of the week is to make customers feel as special as possible. In order to celebrate, “One Team Member … began writing little notes of encouragement on customers’ cups and bags. This small act inspired one customer to spread kindness to others in her own life. And, in turn, it inspired others to do the same,” the Chick-fil-A website states. TikTok user @redditpass received one of these notes. The customer showed off the note they claim they received from a worker which reads: “I hope you heal from whatever you’re going thru!” After the post was uploaded to the short-form video platform, viewers were touched by the heartwarming message the worker had written, stating: “I think this is actually really sweet, cause we all have stuff we are going through and I think they really wanted to brighten your day.” “Sunshine week! My Chick-fil-A gave me and my daughter bouquets of flowers,” another wrote in. “Nah legit this happened to me a while back on a really bad day in particular and I BAWLED when I saw it. • Chick-fil-A customer warns about mac & cheese “scam” – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A customer warns about mac & cheese “scam” TikTok: candacceA Chick-fil-A customer warned others about how the restaurant “scams” people with small mac & cheese portions. TikToker Candace, who is a big fan of Chick-fil-A’s mac & cheese, recently called the company out for “scamming” customers on portion sizes. Candace even had the necessary proof to back her claim up, as she had just ordered Chick-fil-A’s mac & cheese before making her now-viral TikTok. Viewers of Candace’s clip have since reacted, shocked by how Chick-fil-A is supposed to measure their mac & cheese cups. Chick-fil-A customer felt “disrespected” by size of mac & cheese When Candace opened her recent order of Chick-fil-A’s medium mac & cheese, she noticed that the $6 cup wasn’t full to its rightful capacity. Though she “loves” the cheesy side dish, the Tiktoker wasn’t impressed. She then showed viewers the line at the top of the mac & cheese cup where it measures how much to fill it up to. After being warned of what to look out for portion-wise, viewers were stunned, “Learn something new every day. I will now be looking to see if they fill to the arrow.” Many other viewers who work at Chick-fil-A also commented, saying they don’t care about the line inside the cup and that they fill it up to the brim every time. However, some CFA employees added their apologies because sometimes they’re in a rush to complete multiple orders at once and forget that there is a correct portion size. Though Candace felt “disrespected” after being given a “whisper of mac & cheese” from Chick-fil-A, she didn’t specify if she’ll stop going there. But she did refer to her favorite CFA side as “soulful,” so odds are she’ll be returning.

  • Chick-fil-A customer mocked after losing her cool with staff – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A customer mocked after losing her cool with staff TikTok: @sarah_conner1A woman has been under fire after she raged at staff in a Chick-fil-A, for something people think is completely unacceptable. In the recording, we could see the woman in question approach the workers at Chick-fil-A, clearly unimpressed as she claimed she’s not been given a straw or a spoon along with her soup order. “But do you think you could remake this for me? If possible?” she asks regarding the soup. “Cause like it’s not gonna be hot anymore,” she told workers at the chain. Off camera we hear one of the workers questioning her order, to which she replied: “I didn’t get a spoon or a fork so it’s cold now,” she said, before repeating the same sentence again. “I asked them if they could run it to me, and I walked to the door and it was locked so I said hey can you run it to me at the little screen thing, and they were like no…we can’t run it to you, so I’m just like can (you) remake it now yeah,” she continued. Things take a turn however, as apparently the woman receives another container of soup in place of her “cold,” one. She then told the worker, however, that she had marked the bottom of the soup container, to ensure that she was given a fresh one. “This is the same soup, I marked the bottom of it,” she could be heard saying in the video, before continuing “just in case y’all tried to give it back to me. Also this is all being recorded.” “So make sure y’all do the right thing please, y’all gave me back the same soup,” she then starts talking directly to one of the employees, suggesting that another employee working there was trying to mess with her order. “You know what bro, make sure she don’t f**k with my s**t for real, watch her,” she said. “I’m not playing with y’all,” she says, craning her head outside of the car to shout at the employees, “You got me?! You got me though?! Cause you f**k around back there stop having attitude do the right thing.” After the video was shared, people were not impressed, to say the least, writing: “Over chick fil a soup? Girl get a life.” “Yelling at Chick-fil-A workers is crazy. They are literally the most unproblematic people ever,” another wrote. One joked: “Most definitely got an extra ingredient in it for sure,” regarding the woman’s soup order. Another customer went viral after they raged at staff at the Sugar Factory, when an automatic tip was added to their bill.

  • Chick-fil-A customer claims they served her Diet Coke 3 times despite allergies – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A customer claims they served her Diet Coke 3 times despite allergies Chick-fil-A / TikTokA Chick-fil-A customer claimed that the chain served her Diet Coke multiple times despite stating she wanted regular due to her allergies. We’ve seen fast food allergies go terribly awry many times on social media. In February, a man filed a lawsuit against McDonald’s after he was given cheese in his Big Mac, despite having a milk allergy, which ultimately led to a hospital trip. Now, in a TikTok video that’s gone viral on the platform, a Chick-fil-A customer vented about an experience she’d had while dining at the chain. “Chick-fil-A, I need you to count your days… For real, count your days. The past three times I’ve ordered Chick-fil-A, they have given me Diet Coke when I asked for regular, which for most people is fine. However, I am allergic to aspartame. I will take the slightest sip of aspartame and 50 shades of f**ked up, for real. “The first time it happened I was like, ‘OK, that’s fine, I’ll dump it, it’s fine, everything’s OK… The second time it happened I was like, ‘Wow, what are the odds that this happens twice? Chick-fil-A never messes up my order ever.’ The third time it happened, today, I went to a different Chick-fil-A because I was in a different part of town.” Unfortunately for Grace, however, they still served the Diet Coke. People weigh in on Chick-fil-A allergy fail “Someone who understands!! I also have the allergy, no one believes me!” one commenter said, sharing their own struggle. “My mother-in-law and brother-in-law are both allergic to aspartame, they said they just get headaches with it. I’d cry if I did, I don’t like regular soda at all. Hope you’re ok!” “The headaches are seriously so bad. I think it’s the only time I’ve ever gotten migraines,” the video’s creator replied. Some however, argued that she should be more forthright about her allergy, writing: “I would just make sure to tell them you are allergic and can not have Diet Coke. Should you have to? No. But just in case!” Another Chick-fil-A customer was furious, after she was given a heart-shaped biscuit instead of the chain’s classic round biscuit.

Chick-fil-A customer furious over Valentine’s themed heart shaped biscuits TikTok: kimmykatbA Chick-fil-A customer was furious after she was given a heart-shaped biscuit instead of the chain’s round biscuit. Chick-fil-A customer Kimmy B took to TikTok to express her frustration over their Valentine’s Day heart-shaped biscuits. Though the heart biscuits are limited edition and won’t be around for long, Kimmy was nonetheless upset about how much smaller the biscuit was. Viewers of Kimmy’s viral TikTok have since reacted, saying they too, felt “robbed.” Chick-fil-A customer felt a piece of her biscuit was missing To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Chick-fil-A came out with heart-shaped biscuits and has done away with their typical round biscuit. Since the heart shape meant a piece of the center was missing from the biscut, Kimmy expressed that she was being ripped off. As she was showing viewers the size difference in the heart-shaped biscuit, she could be heard complaining, “I feel like a piece of my bread is missing.” Kimmy continued, “I would like this piece of the bread. I don’t need this piece of the bread taken out to make a heart-shaped biscuit, Chick-fil-A. Give me the rest of the bread please,” as she pointed to the part that was missing. Viewers of Kimmy’s TikTok understood where she was coming from, commenting, “Felt the same way yesterday morning was so upset.” And, “RIGHT!! We need to choose that option lol,” as well as, “Girl same, I feel robbed.” Others thought her reaction was hilarious, saying the “conviction” in her voice was enough to send them over the edge laughing. As for Chick-fil-A’s heart-shaped biscuits, customers can expect to see them until at least Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14.

  • Chick-fil-A customer goes back to the store over insane shape of her chicken nugget – Dexerto

Chick-fil-A customer goes back to the store over insane shape of her chicken nugget TikTok: billionbabyyy / Chick-fil-AA woman who ordered a serving of nuggets from Chick-fil-A was given quite a surprise after she unpacked her order and has gone viral thanks to one of the shapes. In a video that amassed over 1 million views on TikTok, a woman who goes by the name Star shared a short clip of her most recent order. Lasting only 26 seconds, the TikToker gave a close-up of one of the chicken nuggets she claimed was packed inside. “Yeah, one thing I don’t play about is my food, because what … is this?” she said, pointing the camera to the nugget in question, which looked totally different from all the others. After she posted the video on the platform, people couldn’t wait to weigh in with their thoughts surrounding the food item. “It’s an armadillo,” one joked, while another said, “At first I thought it was a dinosaur and I was like how cool! Now I’m like ‘omg it’s a mouse.’” The video became so popular, that Star was prompted to film a follow-up video, where she discussed returning to Chick-fil-A with the nugget in hand. “I went to Chick-fil-A today and they actually told me it was just the batter,” adding that the staff laughed about the unusual nugget. She also said that it was “all good” because they gave her a free meal. Back in 2021, a Chick-fil-A employee revealed the extensive process behind the production of its chicken nuggets. First, the diced chicken breast pieces are removed from the refrigerator. Then, they are splashed with a milk-and-egg wash until thoroughly coated. Next, they are tossed in seasoned flour for breading, with the excess shaken off in a sifting pan. The final step is where it all comes together: They are coated in breadcrumbs, and then submerged into hot peanut oil. The pressure cooker does the rest. This isn’t the first time that fast food customers have been given unusually shaped items. Back in March, a woman ordered a bagel from Dunkin,’ and people said that ‘nothing could have prepared’ them for what they saw.

  • Cheesecake Factory’s “refreshing” fine print on tipping sparks viral debate – Dexerto

Cheesecake Factory’s “refreshing” fine print on tipping sparks viral debate Unsplash: Tina GuinaCheesecake Factory’s fine print on tipping has sparked a viral debate after being posted to Reddit. Tipping in America has long been the cause of much debate, with many disgruntled customers and employees taking their quarrels to social media after feeling unfairly treated. While the practice is optional, it is often considered an unspoken rule to leave a gratuity of between 20 to 25 percent. However, not all feel that tipping culture is fair. Most recently, the viral debate was reignited after Cheesecake Factory’s fine print on tipping was posted to Reddit, resulting in an array of responses to the restaurant’s policy. “Pleasantly surprised to see this on the menu! I’m willing to tip in some circumstances, but glad the 18% auto gratuity is marked as optional!” the original poster, ‘Vivid_Papaya2422‘ wrote in a thread titled ‘Cheesecake Factory Tip Optional!’ Providing a photo of the fine print, it read as follows; “Tipping is entirely voluntary. For the convenience of our guests, we add an 18% suggested tip to parties of 8 or more, but payment of that amount is not required. Our guests always have the right to determine how much they’d like to tip.” “Kind of refreshing,” one person responded, evidently agreeing with Vivid_Papaya’s take. Another person shared a similar sentiment, writing, “Good. It should be voluntary. It’s always been an option, not a rule.” However, some felt the fine print was a “slap in the face” and was “deliberately” putting customers in an “awkward position” where they’d feel obligated to tip a certain amount. “I’d like to think this is a step in the right direction, but in some ways, it is worse than a forced 18% tip because this lets them ‘look good’ but also know that almost no one is going to want to look like ‘that person’ in a large party who refuses to tip,” a user pointed out. Others were clearly in agreeance; “The problem with this approach is that it creates confrontation and anyone looking to avoid it will not ask for the optional tip to be updated or removed.” However, some still felt that the fine print was a sign of tipping culture improving. One person writing, “I like that they are clear that it can be removed even though it puts the customer in an awkward position (deliberately), because it at least acknowledges that it’s the customers’ decision. More language like this would quickly educate the [consumer base] on their rights, and make it clear that they have no obligation to tip any specific rate [or] amount. Step in the right direction.”

  • Cheesecake Factory server divides TikTok after dad’s money-saving hack for family of 6 – Dexerto

Cheesecake Factory server divides TikTok after dad’s money-saving hack for family of 6 TikTok: @glazedpoxyTikTok commenters were divided after a dad who fed a family of 6 for just $28 questioned their server how they felt about the ‘hack.’ Josh and Callie Mileham, who regularly post content on TikTok, gained a lot of popularity for sharing money-saving hacks they use to feed their family of six. This, however, has seen the couple face scrutiny in the past, with viewers claiming that their children aren’t being fed enough while dining out. In a video that amassed over a million views, they took their children to the Cheesecake Factory, where they claim to have fed the entire family for only $28. After finishing the meal, they asked the server what they thought. “We just ordered one salad and fries for our whole family of six,” Josh said. “As the server, how does that make you feel?” “Um, honestly, I didn’t mind. I usually do have people who do order a plate for multiple people,” the server replied. “I usually try not to, like, form an opinion. I do it based more on how you guys are. You guys were awesome. It was a pleasure taking care of you guys. Your energy was great. It seemed like a fun time.” “So, based off $28, what do you feel your tip should be?” Josh inquired. “I’d like my tip to reflect how you feel I served you. I try to aim for 20%, which would be for me. I did great. The table was happy with my service.” Josh asked him if he thought a 22% tip would be okay, as it would only total at $6. The server replied that he would be happy with this offering. After the video was posted on the platform, people were divided by the whole interaction. “The time he spent answering this question. should get him at least $15,” one wrote in. “I hope you tipped him more than $6 minimum $20,” another concurred. However, Josh replied in the comments section telling viewers to wait for part two, alluding that he’d presented the server with a higher tip. In the follow-up video, we can see that they actually give him $100 for his efforts. “Love this… saved money on the food so you could bless your server! This is great!” one responded. “As a server I would go in the back and cry,” another wrote in, clearly touched. Another customer went viral, after they blasted a store saying that they couldn’t choose a “no tip” option.

  • Carl’s Jr. launches bizarre ‘everything’ milkshake for a limited time – Dexerto

Carl’s Jr. launches bizarre ‘everything’ milkshake for a limited time Carl’s Jr.Carl’s Jr. is launching a crazy new ‘everything’ milkshake, and it’s not what you think. You may have guessed that this creation would incorporate all of their existing milkshake flavors into one Franken-Milkshake, however, this creation edges more on the savory side. Featuring the ever-popular Everything Bagel seasoning from Trader Joe’s, this sweet treat will incorporate seasoning which is usually only seen on avocado toast. Carl’s Jr is launching a whole Everything menu, but it’s only available at one location for the time being. Carl’s Jr. is bringing some excitement to Palm Springs, CA with a tantalizing new lineup that’s here for a limited time only. If you’re an avid buyer of the ‘Everything Bagel’ seasoning at Trader Joe’s, then you might want to consider a road trip. There’s an Everything Burger, an Everything Breakfast Burger for the early risers, and the bizarre Everything Shake. So, let’s get into the menu: Everything Breakfast Burger: Start your day off with a beef patty, whipped cream cheese, bacon, a perfectly cooked egg, crispy hash rounds, and mayo, all nestled in an Everything Bagel seasoned bun. – Everything Burger: This burger features two juicy beef patties, crispy bacon, fresh onions, ripe tomatoes, lettuce, and a dollop of whipped cream cheese, all sandwiched in an Everything Bagel seasoned bun. – Everything Shake: This creamy oddity is made with hand-scooped vanilla ice cream blended with Everything Bagel seasoning and real milk, topped off with whipped cream. – Everything bagel seasoning is typically a mix of poppy seeds, toasted sesame seeds, dried garlic, dried onion, and salt, which would take a burger bun the a whole new level. However, mixing onion, garlic, and salt into vanilla ice cream could prove a little odd. Although it’s not clear whether this menu collab with Trader Joe’s will be available nationwide, it is true that if test items do well at certain locations, they are often rolled out across the country. Carl’s Jr. is a popular regional fast food chain with most locations spread out across the West Coast, in fact, they even made it into our ranking of the best regional fast food chains.

  • Cheesecake Factory customers shocked after finding out how they cook huge menu – Dexerto

Cheesecake Factory customers shocked after finding out how they cook huge menu FlickrA food expert took to TikTok to share how The Cheesecake Factory manages to tackle such a huge menu, and people were shocked. Chances are that if you’ve visited The Cheesecake Factory, you’ve been taken aback by the wealth of items offered on menus. The company’s website states that they have “more than 250 items” — despite this, they claim that “we make things fresh and from scratch in each restaurant.” But how do they manage what seems to be such an impossible task? TikToker Isaac said the key was preparation, coordination, and expertise. “I’ve had plenty of experience in corporate kitchens, and basically how these places work is they have a large prep team, and they also have a very large refrigerator or walk-in, as we call it.” “Most places that operate at this level receive two deliveries a week—most of the time, depending on the products,” he continued. “Then, they have a freezer full of products as well for things like, you know, bread or french fries—things you can’t just really replicate unless you have another operation going.” He explained to viewers how each section of the kitchen is separated, with each chef trained in a specific area of expertise. “Through coordination and fresh ingredients, you get really good food,” he finished. After the video was posted on the platform, people were shocked at the strategy behind the chain’s preparation methods, with one saying: “Wow I always wondered that! Thanks for the explanation!” “Thank you, I’ve always wondered about this,” another said. People’s love for The Cheesecake Factory was never ending, with people writing in about their appreciation for the chain. “Cheesecake Factory is so consistent – it’s like the one place I can DoorDash from and never be disappointed.” “Cheesecake Factory also has some of the best supply chains in the food business. We learned about it in my supply chain class,” another said. In other fast food news, McDonald’s just brought back a viral breakfast item, and TikTok is in love.

  • Capri Sun reportedly launching new bottled juices aimed at adults & fans are split – Dexerto

Capri Sun reportedly launching new bottled juices aimed at adults & fans are split Capri SunCapri Sun is reportedly launching its iconic juices in new plastic bottles aimed at adults, but fans aren’t sure how to feel. Originally released in Germany in 1969, Capri Sun didn’t make it to the United States until a decade later in 1979. It skyrocketed in popularity and was purchased by Kraft in 1991, who has continued to evolve the brand ever since. The iconic juice pouches have become a staple in almost every kid’s life over the years, whether it’s because of their iconic flavors or being the included drink in Lunchables. Now, after decades of success in the States, the drink is reportedly working on its packaging and is set to soon release the juice in a 12oz plastic bottle aimed at adults. Snack-focused Instagram account Snackolator shared the news on August 28, 2024, and says it was announced for the upcoming National Association of Convenience Stores trade show in October. “Capri Sun is coming for the adults with new bottles that will be arriving in stores soon! These were announced for the upcoming NACS show and will be in three flavors (at least) to start: Fruit Punch, Strawberry Kiwi, and Pacific Cooler,” they said. “Each bottle is 12oz and won’t need you to have to find the spot to poke the straw in and hope that it doesn’t come shooting back at you!” This isn’t the first time Capri Sun has experimented with different packaging for its drinks. Back in 2003, the company released ‘Island Refreshers’ that came in a 16oz metal bottle. It, like the new plastic bottles, was geared more toward adults than kids before production ultimately ended just a few years later. They also announced bigger bottles back in May 2024, with the iconic pouch design being featured on the label. Reaction to the news has been quite split. While many customers are excited to not have to mess with the pouches, others aren’t convinced it will be the same without the straw. “I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for those!” one user replied. Another said: “Finally! I’ve been drinking the pouch like I’m 6 still.” “Simply won’t hit the same without the straw,” a third commented. The beverage industry has featured a fair amount of viral news lately, including a collab between Oreo and Coca-Cola that will see the release of an Oreo-flavored soda in September 2024.

  • Capri Sun responds to panic over new bottles with $250 pallets of juice pouches – Dexerto

Capri Sun responds to panic over new bottles with $250 pallets of juice pouches Instagram: Capri SunCapri Sun has confirmed that their pouch is here to stay after rumors of a new plastic bottle design took over social media – and they’re making them available by the pallet. On August 28, 2024, Food-focused Instagram account Snackolator posted a picture of Capri Sun’s new plastic bottle design aimed at adults looking to enjoy the iconic juice. Details about the launch are sparse, but users across social media were convinced that the new plastic bottles were set to replace the brand’s pouches. Fans were split about the decision, with many uncertain about the change. Capri Sun responded to the panic on August 30, 2024, revealing that they’re making pallets of its juice pouches available at Walmart soon. “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet – we’d never disrespect the pouch and they’re here to stay! Starting next week you can buy a whole pallet of Capri Sun pouches. Find us at Walmart,” they said. After Capri Sun confirmed that the pouches aren’t going anywhere, fans flooded the comments with their thoughts. “Thank you for clearing up the rumors,” one user replied. Another said: “Good idk what I wouldn’t done if the pouch disappeared.” “Thank you for respecting the pouch! I’m your biggest fan!” a third commented. The exact availability of the pallets is unknown, so we’ll have to wait to see when Capri Sun releases more information in the future. Dexerto was able to confirm that the pallets will hold over 3,800 juice pouches and will cost $250. As for the bottles, Dexerto was also able to confirm that they will be available sometime in 2025 – presumably as a supplemental product to the brand’s iconic juice pouches. Before then, we’ll likely see Capri Sun’s massive 96oz bottles that they announced back in May hit the shelves.

California looks to ban Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Doritos & other chips from schools Instagram: abc7newsbayareaSchools in California are looking to ban some of the state’s most popular snacks. Here’s why. According to CBS News, schools in California are looking to ban snacks like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Doritos, Jolly Ranchers, and other popular picks. The ban has been discussed by Democratic California Assembly Member, Jesse Gabriel, who said such snacks are linked to “serious health concerns.” But, why are such specific snacks on the brink of being banned? Here are all the details. Why do California schools want to ban Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Doritos & other snacks? Gabriel and the State Assembly are looking to ban Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Doritos, and other snacks from California schools due to synthetic dyes. That includes foods with blue 1, blue 2, green 3, red 40, titanium dioxide, yellow 5, and yellow 6 dyes. If approved, the ban would take place in public, charter, and state-special schools. On March 12, Gabriel posted to X/Twitter about how “proud” he was to have talked with “public health experts” to “introduce #AB2316, legislation banning seven harmful chemicals linked to serious health concerns including DNA damage, cancer, hyperactivity, and neurobehavioral issues from food served to students.” Today, I was proud to join celebrity chef @tomcolicchio and public health experts to introduce #AB2316, legislation banning 7 harmful chemicals linked to serious health concerns including DNA damage, cancer, hyperactivity, and neurobehavioral issues from food served to students. pic.twitter.com/SybexzSWRZ — Asm. Per state rules, included in their free meals, students are supposed to only be served fruits, vegetables, proteins, or whole grains. There are also standards in place for calories, sugars, and fats for said foods. Though the idea is in place, nothing has been set in stone at this time, as “more toxicity testing” is required.

The franchisee owner, Harshraj Ghai, owns 180 fast-food restaurants throughout California, and 140 of these are made up of Burger Kings’. In an interview with Business Insider, they explained the situation, stating: “We can’t move fast enough on this. “We have kiosks in probably about 25% of our restaurants today,” he said. “However, the other 75% are going to have kiosks in the next probably 30 to 60 days.” “We are installing kiosks in every single restaurant,” he went on to say. Ghai raised prices between 8% and 10% in the past year, and said that getting rid of overtime, and limiting the amount of workers’ hours will mean that he will be able to expand the breath of his restaurant empire. Speaking about potentially increasing menu prices, Ghai responded saying: “I can’t take more price than that… Anything more than that is going to result in [a] significant impact to our traffic.” Talking about his plan of action Ghai said, “Now we are just going ahead and installing the kiosks in every single restaurant in response to the legislation to be able to balance some of these labor costs that are hitting us.” Burger King also made headlines in April, after people questioned whether or not the famous Whopper was being taken off of menus.

Burger King staff threaten to call police as woman cleans bathroom for free TikTok: @_the_clean_girlA popular TikToker who often films cleaning videos decided to get to work in a Burger King toilet, however, she was told by an employee that they’d be forced to call the cops. We’ve seen several instances where TikTokers have decided to extend their cleaning skills to fast-food restaurants, despite not actually being employees. In December, a woman was kicked out of Taco Bell after cleaning and decorating the bathroom. Now, in a clip that’s accumulated over 7 million views on the platform, a TikToker who calls herself the Clean Girl, decided to utilize her skills at a Burger King, which had the “dirtiest bathroom” that she’s ever seen, she claims. “Come with me to clean the Burger King bathroom for free. Within minutes, I was caught cleaning their bathroom,” the voiceover says. “When Alejandro, the employee saw my beautiful work, he immediately left to go get his manager. I have so many questions. Is it OK for me to clean here? Or will Alejandro be back to kick me out?” she questions. “I’m so worried, this is one of the dirtiest Burger King bathrooms I’ve ever seen. Which is wonderful! The dirtier the better. I just hope I have enough time to give it a deep clean. I have no idea if I have minutes or hours to get the job done. So I’m gonna work fast. But I won’t leave until it’s perfect.” “Alejandro came back he said he appreciates my work but if I don’t leave he’s gonna call the cops,” she finishes. TikTok weigh in on Burger King threatening to call the police After the video was posted on the platform, it left many confused as to why the employee threatened to call the cops: “Why would he call the cops? Like is he gonna say to the cops ‘a girl is cleaning my bathroom get her out’ Because I don’t think they would come.” “What is he gonna say if she doesn’t leave? Umm, there is someone cleaning our bathrooms,” another said, followed by a laughing emoji. “So not a single person questioned you when you walked through the door with a broom,” another asked, clearly puzzled. “Aleandro should at least have offered you some food,” another teased. Another TikToker went viral, after they forced a thief to clean their bathroom after an attempted break-in went wrong.

  • Burger King responds to Wendy’s “dynamic pricing” controversy in the best way – Dexerto

Burger King responds to Wendy’s “dynamic pricing” controversy in the best way Burger KingBurger King had the perfect response to Wendy’s “dynamic pricing,” where the fast food chain announced — then retracted — its plans to introduce Uber-like surge pricing. On February 26, Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner announced that the fast food giant would be implementing a new pricing strategy that would change the cost of food items depending on demand. In other words, it would have been similar to Uber, a service that has come under scrutiny for charging customers with higher rates during rush hour. The idea was immediately met with intense backlash from customers — and it looks like Wendy’s was well aware of the feedback, as they clarified their plans in a statement shortly thereafter. In their statement, Wendy’s explained that they’d intended to use digital menu boards to “give us more flexibility to change the display of featured items,” and will “not implement surge pricing,” arguing that they “didn’t use that phrase, nor do we plan to implement that practice.” Burger King roasts Wendy’s controversial surge pricing plans It’s no secret that fast food companies can be ruthless to each other on social media, and Burger King is no exception to this rule. The chain took the opportunity to be extra petty toward its business rival by giving away free burgers in response to the backlash surrounding Wendy’s controversial pricing decisions. On February 28, Burger King penned a tweet claiming customers spending $3 or more in their official app would be eligible for a free Whopper or Impossible Whopper at participating US locations. Of course, they couldn’t resist throwing a jab toward Wendy’s in the process, writing: “The only thing surging at BK is the 🔥. We don’t believe in charging people more when they’re hungry.” Commenters can’t get enough of Burger King’s pettiness, praising the fast food chain for taking a stance against surge pricing. This is just the latest viral moment to come from the fast food world after a Jimmy John’s worker took social media by storm after throwing a customer’s sandwich in the trash when they tried to pay with cash.

If you’re looking for more spooky releases to get your hands on, both Wendy’s and McDonald’s have revealed this season’s limited edition toys that will accompany their kids’ meals.

  • Burger King releases new Dr Pepper ice-cream floats – but not everywhere – Dexerto

Burger King releases new Dr Pepper ice-cream floats – but not everywhere Dr Pepper / Burger KingWith its distinctive blend of 23 secret flavors, Dr Pepper has a unique taste that’s almost impossible to rival. Now, Burger King is taking the drink to new heights by adding ice cream to the mix. That’s right, a tall cup of Dr Pepper, topped off with Burger King’s classic vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, this new sweet treat is only available in Burger King Japan, and so won’t be available for purchase in US stores. The new beverage is for sale in the country for 270 yen, which translates to around $1.77 USD. Surprisingly, Japanese patrons aren’t big fans of Dr Pepper like most are in the US. According to news outlet Sora News, who regularly post about Japanese fast food releases: “Japan already isn’t as cola-crazy as the U.S. in general, and when compared to its more straightforwardly sweet rivals Coke and Pepsi, Dr Pepper’s busier flavor profile often gets it saddled with a ‘medicine-y’ image among non-fans in Japan.” However, according to some Twitter/X comments underneath the drink’s announcement, some were totally on board with the new float, writing: “The first time you drink it, it’s just OK. The second time, you start to get it. And then the third time, you love it.” “The idea of a Dr Pepper float sounds sinful in the best way,” another chipped in. Adding ice cream to sodas is quite the trend this summer, as Burger King are not the first to add floats to menus. The Orange Cream Pop Shake released by McDonald’s was actually inspired by a TikTok trend, and features the “refreshing flavor of an orange cream pop blended with creamy vanilla soft serve.”

Burger King claims naked man in water tank won’t affect food In response to the naked man, Burger King took measures to close off the water tank area completely and brought in a specialist to handle water sanitation. “Our clientele can rest assured that this was an isolated event, which we deeply regret, and does not affect the quality of our products in any way as we do not use the water from said tank for our operations,” the company said in a statement. So far, the mystery naked man has yet to be identified, but Burger King has ensured that no harm will come to those in its glorious burger kingdom. “Our primary concern has always been and will always be the wellbeing of our customers,” they added.

There have undoubtedly been some strange new fast food releases in 2023. The Taco Bell SOS kit designed for college students was one of them, coming complete with stain resistant sheets to enjoy the food in bed. But, Burger King might take the cake this year for bizarre seasonal releases, as they’ve announced that they’ll be selling a human dog bed. The bed itself is shaped like a burger, and has the Burger King logo on the side. Teaming up with Plufl, who were the first company to introduce human dog beds, they will be priced at $200. People excited about Burger King’s human dog bed Under an Instagram post that featured an image of a woman lying on the human dog bed, people were quick to comment on the new release. Despite the seemingly bizarre nature of the product, most people were excited to see it arrive in stores. “Tbh this would be great to travel with if you don’t have a bed available,” one said, commenting on the practicality of the bed. Many tagged their respective partners, stating “I wanna cuddle in this human dog bed from @burgerking.” The product is currently on sale, and will be throughout December while stocks last.

  • Burger King release new chunky burger with quadruple the onions – Dexerto

Burger King release new chunky burger with quadruple the onions Unsplash: Kseniia IlinykhBurger King is releasing one of its chunkiest-looking burgers yet, loaded to the brim with a ton of onions. The latest burger from fast-food giant Burger King is aptly named the ‘Full Onion Burger’, and for good reason, too. It has a whopping total of four different varieties of onions layered inside, including crispy-fried onion rings, caramelized onions, fresh onions, and crispy onions. Along with this, the Full Onion Burger also includes wholegrain mustard, a slice of American cheese, and a flame-grilled beef patty loaded on a toasted bun. Unfortunately, if you want to chow down on this new treat, you may need to hop on a plane, as it’s only available in France. The Full Onion burger was released on May 14, and is only available for Kingdom members (the rewards app for Burger King in France). Burger King also caused some disappointment among customers in April, as an advertisement from Burger King in South Korea stated that Whoppers would no longer be sold after Sunday, April 14, sending fast food fans into a panic. The ad read: “Whopper sales will end after 40 years. We thank everyone who has loved the Whopper all this time.” But with the Whopper entering its 40th birthday, it seems highly unlikely that the chain would be ceasing sales of its most popular product. Speculation pointed out that Burger King would likely cease sales in South Korea, before shortly introducing a new and improved version. As for Burger King customers in the US, there has been no indication that Burger King intends to remove or replace the Whopper. The chain itself is also celebrating its 70th birthday, and has a bunch of deal that customers can take advantage of. We’ve got the full list below: Tuesday, May 28: Enjoy a complimentary hamburger with a purchase of $0.70 or more. – Wednesday, May 29: Start your day right with a free Croissan’wich with a purchase of $0.70 or more. – Thursday, May 30: Quench your thirst with a free medium soft drink when you spend $0.70 or more. – Friday, May 31: Treat yourself to a free cheeseburger with a purchase of $0.70 or more. – Saturday, June 1: Celebrate Burger King’s 70th anniversary with a free Birthday Pie Slice alongside a purchase of $0.70 or more. – Sunday, June 2: Sink your teeth into a complimentary Original Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a purchase of $0.70 or more. – Monday, June 3: Wrap up the festivities with a free Whopper Jr. when you spend $0.70 or more. – So, though it might be a little disappointing that you won’t get to try the Full Onion Burger – there are plenty of upcoming treats to take advantage of.

  • Burger King release $6 Birthday Meal to celebrate 70th anniversary – Dexerto

Burger King release $6 Birthday Meal to celebrate 70th anniversary FlickrPopular fast food chain Burger King is unleashing a new value meal box just in time for its 70th birthday – and it’s got a surprising new item inside. Burger King was first established back in 1954, by James McLamore and David Edgerton, who dreamt of a restaurant serving high-quality food items at an affordable price. Following the successes of other fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s (established in 1940), they introduced the ever-popular Whopper burger in 1957, three years after opening. Now, with over 18,000 locations worldwide, its burgers are some of the most popular in the world. In honor of its 70th birthday, Burger King is releasing a $6 Birthday Meal Box, at the value price of, you guessed it, six dollars. It features a Whopper Jr, small fries, a small drink, and a brand new item – the Birthday Pie. The Birthday Pie Slice features a super creamy birthday cake-inspired filling, along with a cookie crumb base, topped with plenty of rainbow sprinkles in keeping with the theme. As well as this, as of May 28, Burger King is rolling out a whole bunch of freebies. These include: Tuesday, May 28: Enjoy a complimentary hamburger with a purchase of $0.70 or more. – This isn’t the only thing that Burger King customers have to get excited about. In a May company call, US and Canada Burger King President Tom Curtis signed off on a new $5 value meal box that the chain plans to release very soon. Though we’re not sure exactly what this $5 value meal box contains yet, we know that customers will have the choice of one of three sandwiches, along with nuggets, fries, and a drink.

  • Burger King is testing new flame-grilled chicken sandwiches – Dexerto

Burger King is testing new flame-grilled chicken sandwiches Burger KingBurger King has something exciting in store for customers, and it falls outside of the chain’s traditional beef patties. Burger King is the home of the flame-grilled Whopper. A staple of the brand, the smoky, chargrilled flavor is something we’ve all come to know and love. But now, Burger King is thoroughly stepping outside of its comfort zone, and dabbling with brand-new chicken sandwiches and wraps, akin to those sold at McDonald’s. Starting on June 6, lucky customers who reside in Omaha, Nebraska, and Huntsville, Alabama, will get to try the new sandwiches and wraps, all of which are made with flame grilled chicken breast. According to a spokesperson for the brand, these customers will get to try the Classic, Fiery, and Bacon & Swiss Royal Crispy chicken sandwiches, as well as the half flame-grilled chicken breast, which is a substitute for the traditional Royal Crispy Wraps sold at the chain. Burger King, like many other fast food outlets such as Chick-fil-A, usually test their new menu items in smaller locations first to gauge interest. This was the case for its Impossible Whopper, which was first trialed in just 59 locations, before being spread across the nation due to its popularity. Whether or not the flame grilled offerings will make it past the test phase is still to be decided. There is plenty for fast food customers to get excited about however, as one of Wendy’s new menu items just made it out of the test phase and is set to roll out nationwide on June 10. The item in question, of course, is none other than the chain’s Saucy Nuggets.

  • Burger King goes head-to-head with McDonalds with $5 meal deal “before they do” – Dexerto

Burger King goes head-to-head with McDonalds with $5 meal deal “before they do” Burger King / McDonald’sBurger King is the next fast food giant set to bring out its own value meal deal – and it might arrive sooner than you think in a bid to launch before McDonalds. As a result of the rising costs of day-to-day living, many fast food chains have seen diners opting to eat at home instead of grabbing takeout. Fast food markets have subsequently had to work harder to attract customers with higher-stakes promotions. McDonald’s is ready and set to offer a meal deal at the low price of $5. We’re not sure yet what it will consist of, but it’s set to “attract inflation-hit customers.” Following suit, Burger King is planning to bring out their own $5 meal deal, and it might arrive sooner than the one planned by McDonald’s. According to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg, Burger King stated: “Regardless of their plans, we are moving full speed ahead with our own plans to launch our own $5 value meal before they do — and run it for several months,” signed by the chain’s US and Canada President Tom Curtis. In terms of what the new meal deal will look like, customers will have the choice of one of three sandwiches, along with nuggets, fries and a drink. The decision to bring out the new meal was signed back in April. We’ve seen a plethora of other value meals released throughout the course of May, the most recent being My Hut Box from Pizza Hut, which allows customers to get a personalized meal for a bargain. Wendy’s has also brought out its $3 English muffin breakfast deal. Customers can choose from a bacon, egg & cheese English muffin or a sausage, egg & cheese English muffin, served with small seasoned potatoes for $3. If you’re looking for more value fast food options – there are a bunch of deals running on Memorial Day weekend from some of your favorite chains.
