Minecraft YouTuber and Twitch star Bashurverse passes away after battle with illness YouTube: ToastyTimeTwitch streamer and Minecraft YouTube star Brandon “Bashurverse” Ashur, now known as ToastyTime, passed away on September 13, his family has now confirmed, after an extended battle with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Ashur’s family confirmed the news on Monday, Sep. 13. His sister, Anesa, wrote on Facebook: “My brother fought COVID, and unfortunately lost the battle. I cannot believe this is happening… He was amazing. He is amazing.” “There are so many things I could say, but I don’t think I could even put our lives into words if I wanted to,” she continued. “Why is this beast so terrible? Why did it have to get you? You have faced so many challenges in your 36 years, never would I imagine we would lose you to a pandemic.” The long-time YouTube star was first admitted to hospital on August 14, after an initial positive diagnosis on August 7. He spent four days in the regular ward, before being moved to the ICU, where he was put on a ventilator. Ashur gave updates to his fans on Twitter near-daily amid his illness. On August 26, while in the hospital, the YouTuber wrote: “Thank you for all the love and support, you guys are helping me fight this more than you know.” Ashur originally rose to internet fame on YouTube via his scripted Minecraft series “The Legend of the Hobo,” as well as his ‘BashDoesThings’ vlog series. The streaming star originally went by the name Bashurverse, but abandoned the title following a two-year hiatus between 2017 and 2019. He returned under the moniker “Toasty Time,” and focused primarily on Twitch streaming. Between September 2019 and earlier this month, Ashur — streaming under the name “Toasty” — climbed to just over 167k followers on Twitch. The internet star’s YouTube channel currently has 1.58m followers. In early 2015, the YouTuber threatened to quit after rumors began circulating that he had allegedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl when he was 23. The accusations surfaced the same week Ashur hit 1 million subscribers. The rumors boiled over into a full-blown internet controversy after DramaAlert’s Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem began reporting on the news. It was this reporting that originally spurred Ashur to suggest he would “quit forever,” before he appeared in a one-on-one episode with the famous podcaster in an attempt to share his side of the story. Toasty, then Bashurverse, posted several videos on the accusations, including a quickly-deleted “explanation”. The reports were never confirmed either way.

  • YouTuber TheSmithPlays thinks Fortnite creator codes are being wasted on big streamers – Dexerto

YouTuber TheSmithPlays thinks Fortnite creator codes are being wasted on big streamers Epic Games/TheSmithPlaysPopular YouTuber ‘TheSmithPlays’ has spoken out about potential misuse of Fortnite creator codes; encouraging players instead to support smaller creators. Patrick ‘TheSmithPlays’ Smith is a popular member of the gaming community, regularly uploading videos stating his opinion on the current state of Fortnite, Apex Legends and Call of Duty’s Zombie modes. He is also not afraid of sharing his opinion on what he perceives to be issues within the gaming community, recently criticising hypocrisy from Fortnite streamers. Now, he has shared his selfless opinion on how he thinks creator codes should be used. Epic Games made a change to in-game purchases a number of months ago, so that players can input a code that enables creators to receive money when players use their code. For every 10,000 V-Bucks spent in-game by players using their code, creators receive $5 – or their local currency equivalent. The Canadian YouTuber, who has over 2.5 million subscribers, recently addressed the topic in a video, stating that he would prefer his subscribers to use the codes of creators who have less than 500,000 subscribers, rather than his. He argues that smaller creators will benefit more from the money, as they could use it to improve their content. This is opposed to using codes to support larger content creators, such as Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins or Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who are already more than financially secure. Some larger creators have already encouraged this, such as Lannan ‘LazarBeam’ Eacott. Ninja has also previously encouraged his followers to use creator codes belonging to smaller creators, at the start of some of his YouTube videos. It follows wider community discussion about the topic, and doubts over whether larger creators need the support. Smith is clearly an advocate of this view, reflected in his selfless attitude.

  • YouTuber ‘TheSmithPlays’ hits out at “hypocritical” Fortnite streamers – Dexerto

YouTuber ‘TheSmithPlays’ hits out at “hypocritical” Fortnite streamers TheSmithPlays/Youtube/Fortniteskins.netPopular YouTuber Patrick ‘TheSmithPlays’ Smith has tweeted his disapproval of what he considers to be hypocrisy in the Fortnite community. Patrick Smith has amassed an impressive following of over 2,500,000 subscribers, regularly playing and uploading Epic Games’ third person battle royale, as well as Call of Duty’s Zombies mode and Apex Legends. The Canadian often makes videos giving his opinion on in-game skins and guns, and has now shared his opinion on what he considers to be double standards from Fortnite players. On March 14, Smith tweeted what he considers to be an “unpopular opinion”, arguing that it’s hypocritical of Fortnite players to complain about opponents being “sweaty” or “tryhards”. Fortnite content creators can often be seen complaining about in-game opponents who they deem to be “sweaty”, implying that other players are concentrating to the point of perspiration, and that they should be playing more casually. However, Smith believes it’s hypocritical of players to criticize others for playing seriously and putting considerable effort in, when they are ultimately trying to do the same. He goes on to state: “You’re saying people shouldn’t try to win, so that I, who is also trying to win, can win”. Unpopular Opinion: complaining about people being ‘sweaty’ or ‘tryhard’ in Fortnite is completely hypocritical. You’re saying “”people shouldn’t try to win, so that I, who is also trying to win, can win.”” I know the player base is good, but this is such a backwards excuse… — Patrick Smith:gem: (@TheSmithPlays) March 14, 2019 He concludes the tweet by admitting “the player base is good, but this is such a backwards excuse”, referencing the improvement in the average standard of Fortnite player since the game’s explosion in popularity in late 2017. Despite his suggestion that this view is an “unpopular opinion”, at the time of writing, his tweet stands at over 2,700 likes, suggesting a lot of people agree with him.

YouTuber tears up at cultural representation in Spiderman: Miles Morales YouTube: P1SMYouTuber P1SM has shared an emotional clip of his first reaction to seeing the cultural representation in the new Spiderman: Miles Morales game. The YouTuber set out to review the demo for Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales, based off hit movie Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, which was released in 2018 to critical acclaim. The film follows the main character Miles Morales in New York, who becomes the Spiderman of his universe, but quickly discovers there are others like him from five other universes. Miles is half African/American and half Puerto Rican. When the film was released, it gained notoriety for more than just ticking a box for diversity; it was praised for providing the right nuances to represent a biracial teenager from Brooklyn. The same can now be said for the game; an important development in the quest for a greater diversity of video game protagonists. Spiderman: Miles Morales is a stand-alone adventure and a sequel to Marvel’s Spiderman (2018), with the demo released this week. The 26-year-old gamer tweeted the clip out on Thursday of his reaction to seeing the same nuances played out in the game. The clip went viral on the platform, racking up an impressive 18,000 likes. In the clip, JC becomes tearful as soon as he sees the number of Puerto Rican flags displayed in the scene from the trailer, and the markets in Harlem. YouTuber teaches his dog how to play Minecraft Unsplash / MojangYouTuber ‘Liam Thompson’ uploaded a hilarious video showing how he taught his dog to play Minecraft, proving that man’s best friend could be a viable gamer. Minecraft is having a major resurgence with YouTubers like Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg making it popular again. In August, it was the second highest selling game according to the NPDs – a group that tracks the sale of consumer goods. Despite releasing 10 years ago in 2009, the sandbox game has dominated streaming platforms in 2019. However, one YouTuber took it upon himself to show that canines can also build their most deepest desires. Man taught his dog to play Minecraft In a video uploaded on September 29, Liam Thompson introduced his channel to his dog Max, who he was going to train to play Minecraft. “Playing games like Minecraft are super fun with your friends. I’m gonna teach my dog how to play Minecraft!” he exclaimed. The determined YouTuber had a makeshift keyboard setup where he popped all the keys off, only leaving two which he was using for walking and mining. He then took two pieces of cardboard and taped them to each key, so that the canine only had to press his paw down on two squares to interact with the game. Using positive reinforcement, Liam rewarded the pup with a treat every time he pressed his paw down, which naturally over time would make the dog learn to press the buttons for more food. Hilariously, the animal was able to destroy some blocks and even managed to kill a spider enemy. The YouTuber seemed happy with the experiment, and said: “We managed to get Max to destroy stuff. We managed to get him to walk. He’s got all the basics covered of a Minecrafter!” (Timestamp of 00:25 for mobile viewers.) • YouTuber Taylor Caniff accuses Bryce Hall of attacking two minors – Dexerto

YouTuber Taylor Caniff accuses Bryce Hall of attacking two minors YouTube: The Hollywood Fix / Bryce Hall[jwplayer ksH6zuKH]TikTok star and Sway House member Bryce Hall may be in the news for his raucous, quarantine-breaking parties, but it seems the internet star may have another legal battle coming his way, according to a fellow entertainer. Bryce Hall made headlines after being charged by Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer for breaking the city’s ordinances to throw huge house parties, such as the LA Health Order and the Party House Ordinance. While both Hall and fellow TikToker Blake Gray could be facing up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine for their folly, that isn’t the only trouble Hall seems to have gotten himself into, as told by former Viner and YouTuber Taylor Caniff. Paparazzi from the Hollywood Fix caught up with Caniff while eating at a restaurant on August 31, where the internet star opened up about some other potential legal drama that could be making Hall’s life even more difficult in the near future. According to Caniff, Hall had attacked two minors — one of whom comes from a “very wealthy family,” although he didn’t drop any names (likely due to legal reasons). “We’re cool now, but obviously, the kid’s gotta watch what he’s doing,” Caniff said of his relationship with Hall. “I know he’s got a couple of lawsuits definitely coming his way. A few — punching some little kids in the face and s**t.” “I can’t say the kid’s name, but it’s gonna be out there,” he continued. “He punched a very young kid with a very wealthy family in the face.” (Topic begins at 4:30) While Hall has yet to speak out about these allegations, fans and critics alike are expressing shock and concern regarding the situation, with many taking aim at Hall for yet another legal blunder amid the ongoing speculation surrounding his rambunctious house parties. However, Hall has previously admitted that he “deserves to be punished” for throwing his late-night ragers; and considering one of his recent tweets, which read, “Everything is different now,” it’s quite possible TikTok’s high-profile partier is undergoing a change of heart.

  • YouTuber Tati Westbrook reveals why she is ending James Charles beef – Dexerto

YouTuber Tati Westbrook reveals why she is ending James Charles beef Tati Westbrook, YouTube / James Charles, InstagramYouTube’s beauty community imploded after popular makeup guru Tati Westbrook uploaded a video exposing James Charles for allegedly less-than-savory behavior – but now, Tati appears to be ending the feud with her protegee. Tati uploaded a second video on May 16 titled, ‘Why I Did It,’ where she called for an end to the hateful memes and language against James Charles that have taken over the internet following her initial complaints. “I want the picking sides and the abusive memes and the language and all of that – I really hope on both sides, it can stop,” she said of the matter. “That’s not why I made the video.” Tati explained that she’d uploaded her initial video as “last-ditch effort” to get through to Charles, who she called “completely unreachable,” noting that his audience of over 30 million followers were largely children – another major factor that caused her to call him out on his purportedly oversexualized behavior. “No one’s really stopping him, no one’s going to get through to him,” Tati continued. “This is going to end badly, and then I will have to sit for the rest of my life and feel like I never said anything.” Tati went on to state that she doesn’t hate James Charles, and had even wanted to meet up with him on Wednesday, May 16, claiming that her issues with him were “a cut much deeper than vitamins.” What happened between Tati and James Charles? The drama between Tati and Charles exploded after Tati uploaded an emotional video to her Instagram story that appeared to be in response to Charles’ advertisement for SugarBearHair, a rival company to Tati’s own Halo vitamin brand. Tati then uploaded a 43-minute long video titled, ‘Bye Sister,’ which exposed Charles for allegedly using his fame to “manipulate someone’s sexuality” and spreading rumors to harm her image – despite her efforts to build him up as a beauty influencer. Charles then uploaded an eight-minute apology video on the topic, which has since become one of the most disliked YouTube videos of all time. That’s not all; Charles even saw a massive drop in subscribers due to the drama, losing nearly three million subs after the publication of Tati’s video, while Tati herself has now risen to a whopping 10 million subscribers. Charles has yet to respond to Tati’s latest video as of the publication of this article.

The 26-year-old pop star has been leading a quiet life, making appearances every once in a while with his wife of two years, Hailey Rhode Bieber. The channel, which’s known for showcasing some of the wildest vehicles to their community of 688,000 subscribers, got themselves an up-close outside look at Bieber’s new ride for 2021. “The funny thing is,” effspot explained, “we were driving in [our] car, and [Bieber] looked at us and he was like, ‘What the fuck was that?’ And we look at him, and we thought ‘What the fuck is that?!’” Bieber was also spotted outside a Santa Monica restaurant with the same Rolls Royce, and the images from his outing had the silver car prominently featured. • YouTuber Stradman reveals insane cost of custom-built car-centric home – Dexerto

YouTuber Stradman reveals insane cost of custom-built car-centric home TheStradman – YouTubeYouTuber TheStradman has revealed the eye-watering cost of his brand-new home, which he is building to house his impressive car collection. Stradman is one of the most popular automotive-focused YouTubers in the world, with his channel boasting over 2.1 million subscribers, and his videos bringing in hundreds of thousands of views at a time. With an extensive car collection that includes incredible vehicles like a bright orange Lamborghini Gallardo, a Corvette, and a fully-specced Ford Focus RS among others, and Stradman is planning to build a custom-spec dream home to house them and revealed the insane amount the structure will cost. Stradman has an extensive collection of high-performance cars. His prospective Utah build is still in the planning stage, but the YouTuber had a 3D model of the home, which acts more as a warehouse for his cars than as somewhere to live. Labelled as “the barn,” the 3500 square-foot bottom floor of the structure will hold 13 vehicles, while the upstairs will feature two apartments and an office. Unsurprisingly, building a home for his fancy supercars isn’t cheap, and after setting himself an ideal budget of $900,000 to secure land and build the home, the Utah native revealed how much he was quoted, and what he had to cut to bring the price down. “I met up with my builder this week and got my first cost estimate,” Stradman explained. “It was considerably more than we were expecting. Just for the structure, not including the land, the number was $1 million, just to build the barn, with the price of land I’m looking at, we’re talking $1.5 million.” To bring the cost down, the YouTuber has decided not to include a rock-climbing wall which he deemed unnecessary and has also chosen to scrap the idea of having a balcony and a basement, as the structural work needed to make these a reality were too expensive. By making these concessions, Stradman has brought the price of the barn down to below $700,000, and has stated that he is now looking at cheaper land as he continues to try and keep below his $900,000 budget. Of course, building a house to park all your cars in is an expensive idea, but even owning the vehicles can cost thousands of dollars, as fellow YouTuber Tim ‘Shmee150’ Burton explained. The Brit is a proud owner of a McLaren 675LT Spider, but explained that between his car insurance, storage, road tax and servicing, it costs him around $8,000 a year, not including the payments he makes to keep the car.

  • YouTuber spends over $20,000 in 3DS and Wii U eShop ahead of closure – Dexerto

YouTuber spends over $20,000 in 3DS and Wii U eShop ahead of closure The Completionist | YouTube/TwitterThe Completionist decided to remain true to his name and collected every single Wii U and 3DS eShop game before Nintendo closed down the service, giving him an almost complete archive of every game on both platforms. The Completionist (aka Jirard) has been on YouTube for over a decade, with the goal of completing any game he touches. This means nabbing every single achievement and in-game reward, something that can take anywhere from a few hours on shorter games to hundreds of hours for larger titles. However, he decided to step outside the realm of completing a single game and set his sights on completing his game library for the 3DS and Wii U ahead of the closure of the Nintendo eShop. This venture was not only a massive financial investment, but it took Jirard almost an entire year to figure out how to undertake the task of buying every 3DS and Wii U game for the sake of preservation. There was a lot more to the process than just buying every game on the store. YouTuber freezes credit cards while buying every eShop game The Completionist went in knowing that this project would take a herculean effort, but it wasn’t clear just how much effort it would take until he got deeper and deeper into the logistics of buying every game. The first problem was getting his hands on enough eShop funds to buy everything. Jirard knew the bank would likely flag his account for what could be seen as unusual purchases, meaning that his best route was to go around and buy up Nintendo eShop cards from retailers. He got a bunch of his friends together and formed teams that were tasked with buying up as many eShop cards as they could. Some retailers had restrictions on how many gift cards could be purchased at a time. Jirard speculated this could be due to suspicions of money laundering after getting turned away at a few stores. Meanwhile some other stores were less restrictive and allowed them to walk with thousands of dollars worth of eShop cards. Then, after spending just over $18k, Jirard’s credit cards got frozen just before crossing the finish line. He’d have to go back and get more later, but yet another obstacle lied in wait just ahead. After spending five figures on eShop cards and attempting to load them onto his account, he ran into a problem: Nintendo wallets can only hold $250 dollars at a time, meaning he’d have to load cards into the account as he went. On top of that, he could only download so many games at once on either system. And on top of all that, they found out that only 300 games could be stored on an external hard drive/memory card at a time on both the 3DS and Wii U, regardless of how much memory they had. It’s important to note that, with the eShop closure, games would only be available for download “for the foreseeable future.” That means that he not only had to purchase every game to keep them, but he also had to have them all in storage as well. “This whole experience has completely broken me,” Jirard remarked as he went over the painstaking process of getting past the various roadblocks Nintendo had in place to keep him from buying and storing these games en masse. 3DS games had another massive obstacle for The Completionist As if every other obstacle in his way wasn’t enough, Jirard also realized that some games on the 3DS had restrictions on when you could pay for DLC. For some titles, he only had to beat the first few levels of a game in order to pick up downloadable content. For others, he’d have to beat the entire game. Additionally, playing games on the 3DS stops all downloads on the system, meaning that he’d have to cease his operation until he was able to play through sections of select titles on the system. After thousands of hours and dollars invested into this project, the Completionist managed to download the entire 3DS and Wii U library. Or, at the very least, what was available to him. He mentioned in the video that some games were actively getting pulled from the storefront as he tried to purchase them, meaning that his collection would never be fully complete. But he did everything he could to buy as many games as possible, coming out to 2,413 games purchased across both systems. Once the eShop is down, the only way games on those systems get preserved for new players is through piracy, something that Nintendo and other companies have put effort into shutting down. Justifiably so, but that comes with the very real threat of games being entirely erased from existence. And, even if games are maintained via piracy, you can’t play them with their intended peripherals without modifying an existing 3DS or Wii U. Jirard took on this massive project with the motivation of spotlighting how difficult game preservation can be and keeping an archive of the games thousands of game developers worked on. • YouTuber stopped by border control because her “hot” passport photo didn’t look like her – Dexerto

YouTuber stopped by border control because her “hot” passport photo didn’t look like her Alisha Marie/TikTokYouTuber and influencer Alisha Marie claims she almost missed her flight after she was delayed from boarding the plane, due to her passport photo being “too hot” to actually be her. We all want to be comfortable when spending hours traveling. This usually includes a comfy outfit, no makeup, and a bedhead hairdo. But if you pair this with the 2022 TikTok trend of glamming up yourself for your passport photos, you might be met with some confused border control workers. This is what happened to YouTuber and social media star Alisha Marie, who almost didn’t get through passport control while on vacation in Istanbul, Turkey. Alisha Marie almost misses her flight after passport photo fail Alisha discussed her “passport fail” in a video that racked up over 15 million views on TikTok. She told her 663,000 followers: “They almost didn’t let me on my flight because they said I don’t look like my passport. This is why you should never do hot photos for your passport because I don’t look like this.” She referenced her casual look of a black lounge set, a cap covering her hair, and no makeup. Meanwhile, her passport photo showed her all glammed up with nicely done hair and a full face of makeup. Alisha captioned the clip: “I’ve never been SO HUMBLED IN MY LIFE.” Luckily, the airport staff did let her through security so she did make her flight in the end. But, social media users were baffled by the woman’s photo of choice. One person said: “I’m amazed they let you use that as a passport photo… you’re not allowed to have your hair cover your eyebrows because they have to see the whole face.” “The passport makeup is catching up to y’all,” another said, referencing to the viral passport look that made its way across TikTok in 2022. Many had sympathy with Alisha, with one person saying: “Babe this has happened to me and OMFG the humbling!” Another commented: “I took my passport photo while in a ponytail because I knew I’d be a dirtbag in a ponytail at the airport.”

YouTuber sparks outrage after fleeing police on “free” trip across Japan YouTube: FidiasA YouTuber has sparked outrage after traveling across Japan “for free,” hopping on trains without tickets and even fleeing from conductors trying to arrest him. Recently, there’s been a rash of traveling streamers eliciting outrage from viewers all around the world due to their antics — the most prominent of whom goes by the name ‘Johnny Somali.’ Somali, who currently lives in Japan, has been confronted numerous times by locals and even other foreigners for his behavior, which included shouting “Hiroshima and Nagasaki” at passersby in public places. As of now, Somali has been arrested two times, with Japanese officials even calling such streamers “nuisances” — but he’s not the only content creator causing chaos in the country. Now, another creator is coming under fire for his behavior in Japan, sparking outrage across the net. YouTuber under fire for controversial challenge video in Japan YouTuber ‘Fidias’ uploaded a video on October 21, showing himself and a group of friends engaging in a challenge to see who could travel across Japan the fastest “for free.” In attempting to win the challenge (and a grand prize of $10k), the group engaged in numerous practices that left viewers fuming, including: Skipping out on bus fees, asking strangers for money, sneaking onto trains without paying, pretending to be sick to avoid paying train fees, and even running away from transport staff to get out of a fee. Commenters were furious with the group’s antics during their “challenge,” leaving angry replies beneath the video asking travelers not to “abuse the kindness” of Japanese locals. “As someone who’s lived in Japan for many years, it’s sad to see people like this visit Japan and damage the reputation of foreigners,” one user wrote. “If you can’t pay for public transport, don’t use it.” “As a foreigner living in Japan, people who come here and do stupid stuff like this bring down the overall image of foreigners,” another said. “There are plenty of people like myself who work hard, pay taxes and generally try to integrate into society here as much as possible.” “Japan is definitely a tourist friendly country. Please do not abuse their kindness & politeness,” yet another said. On October 23, Fidias offered an apology to Japan in a comment amidst the ongoing outrage against his video. “Hello beautiful people,” he wrote. “I apologize to the Japanese people if we made them feel bad, that was not our goal! From now on, I am going to be making more research [about] the cultures we go to and try to prevent this from happening again. I love you all.” At the time of writing, his video is still available to view on YouTube. A quick look at his content shows that this isn’t his first time undertaking a similar challenge, with the YouTuber also making ‘challenge’ videos traveling across the UK, India, and even America “for free.”

  • YouTuber sparks outrage after taking ASMR “too far” by eating live animals – Dexerto

YouTuber sparks outrage after taking ASMR “too far” by eating live animals Ssoyoung, YouTubeKorean YouTuber ‘Ssoyoung’ is facing backlash from critics due to eating live animals in her viral ASMR mukbang videos — and some are asking that YouTube take action against the controversial content creator. ASMR mukbang content has taken YouTube by storm in the past several years, combining the tingling sensations of the “autonomous sensory meridian response” with eating massive quantities of food. While some YouTubers set themselves apart from the crowd by eating especially spicy noodles or huge lobster claws, Korean ASMR mukbang tuber ‘Ssoyoung’ has taken her content in a decidedly different direction. This YouTuber is known for eating live animals as part of her mukbang experience, generally seafood like octopus or squid, often expressing fear or dismay at their flailing tentacles as she does so. Although concerned commenters have been speaking up about what they feel is animal abuse for some time, Ssoyoung has seen a new wave of backlash thanks to YouTube star Ethan Klein, who claimed that she is taking her content “too far” in a recent video denouncing her content. “I think she knows that if she wasn’t acting at least a little squeamish and nervous about it, then she would be seen as a total sociopath,” Klein said of the issue. “But she clearly loves torturing animals. No question about it.” Klein’s comments are echoed by many across YouTube, who have even asked the platform to remove her from the site due to the divisive nature of her videos. “Why do people laugh at someone literally hitting and dropping a living animal on surfaces?” one critic commented. “I’m not a vegan and this has nothing to do with your diet, but this is straight up animal abuse.” “The [octopi] are fighting for their life, and she broadcasts it to the internet,” another wrote. “This is basically like uploading videos of torture. How is YouTube not striking her channel to oblivion for animal abuse?” Thus far, Ssoyoung has yet to be removed from the site, nor has the YouTuber responded to the outrage, after compiling months worth of content that has received millions of views that even sites like Instagram have deemed as potentially sensitive.

  • YouTuber Slimecicle reported CallMeCarson to police over grooming admission – Dexerto

YouTuber Slimecicle reported CallMeCarson to police over grooming admission YouTube: CallMeCarsonFollowing a number of allegations being levied against YouTuber CallMeCarson, accusing him of grooming younger fans and being inappropriate with them, former Lunch Club member Charlie ‘Slimecicle’ Dalgleish has revealed he reported Carson to federal law enforcement. Formerly in YouTube group Lunch Club with Carson, Slimcicle left suddenly in early 2020, distancing himself from the group and, more importantly, Carson. Now, on January 5, 2021, allegations have been made by fans of Carson about him grooming them when they were younger, as well as other former Lunch Club members saying that he admitted to them that “he had f***ed underage girls.” While Carson has yet to respond to the claims being made, they have been bolstered once again by a former friend, with Slimecicle now releasing his own statement about the ordeal. Just a few hours after news started to break across social media, Dalgleish released his statement, saying that he has already reported Carson to the police after he admitted to exchanging inappropriate messages with a girl he “believed to be 17.” “In an early 2020 phone call, Carson told all the Lunch Club members and our group manager that he had exchanged nudes with an unnamed girl he believed to be 17,” the statement reads. “I immediately reported this information to federal law enforcement, cut all ties to Carson, and withdrew completely from Lunch Club.” At the end of the statement, Slimecicle reveals that the reason he hasn’t spoken out before was to protect the victim, saying that he “took every step to protect the unnamed victim and report the information I had to authorities.” My statement about the Carson situation. pic.twitter.com/88oHCYFbIO — Slimecicle🦠 (@Slimecicle) January 5, 2021 Obviously, these allegations and the involvement of federal law have been building for around a year, if not more, at the time of writing, despite news only breaking now. How this pans out for Carson and his former Lunch Club friends remains to be seen, though it’s not looking good for the YouTuber. He has yet to respond to any of the allegations made against him from the Lunch Club members or victims.

  • YouTuber sneaks into the ring during KSI vs Logan Paul 2 – Dexerto

YouTuber sneaks into the ring during KSI vs Logan Paul 2 A British YouTuber fooled everyone by sneaking into KSI vs Logan Paul 2 and getting into the ring – after doing exactly the same in the first fight between the YouTube superstars. Niko Omilana, also known as ‘Ringside’ for sneaking in and getting ringside seats to the first fight in Manchester’s Manchester Arena, traveled to LA alongside a large group of fellow UK YouTubers to support KSI in his endeavors against Logan Paul. You may have seen him going viral throughout the weekend of the fight for pranking Paul’s coach, Shannon ‘The Cannon’ Briggs. As with the first fight, his entire plan was to get in, sit ringside, and somehow find his way into the ring after the main event – and, somehow, managed to achieve the task he set himself. Funnily enough, the part that seemed to be the most difficult was getting into the actual event – posing as fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, who was rumored to be fighting Logan Paul’s brother, Jake, in the lead up to the event. After getting fake VIP passes printed, Niko managed to get into the STAPLES Center through a different entrance with seemingly no trouble – and, of course, he somehow ended up sitting ringside too. It wasn’t until after the fight had finished that Niko decided he had to make a move and find a way to get into the ring, the big moment he had been planning for the entire night. As the excitement and buzz was starting to simmer down, Niko managed to sneakily climb across the barrier to the judges’ desks and, despite being turned away by security once, he simply went to a different side of the ring and climbed in. Despite protesting that “this is literally all I need” once both feet touched the canvas, security came in and removed him from the ring, with one pushing him back over the barrier to make sure he wasn’t able to slip back in. Although Niko initially had concerns about how security in the US would be different from how it was in Manchester – with the presence of guns being of clear concern to him – the fact that he not only had the gall to try it but was so successful is incredibly impressive. And if you can get famous by simply sneaking into big events and hanging out with your friends, why not?

YouTuber Slim backs out of Ryan Taylor boxing match due to eye damage from alleged scuffle YouTube: Slim AlbaherYouTube star Slim Albaher has dropped out of his boxing match with fellow influencer Ryan Taylor after a personal scuffle between the two creators allegedly resulted in serious damage to Slim’s eye. Slim Albaher is a YouTuber with a fair history in boxing. The creator, who boasts over 616,000 subscribers, has a 3-0 record and scored all his victories by TKO. Recently, it was announced that Slim would be involved in a boxing production called ‘Kingpyn.’ Slim’s opponent was slated as Ryan Taylor — an influencer who notably headbutted his opponent on the Showstar USA vs UK card back in March. The press conference for this bout, which was initially penned for Saturday, July 16, saw some heated tensions; Slim claimed that “no one wants to work” with Taylor, which prompted his opponent to throw a water bottle at his head. Things didn’t die down after that. Instead, Taylor and his group pulled up to Slim’s hotel lobby in London, where the two got into a physical altercation following a discussion between their respective camps. Video from the ordeal shows Taylor pushing Slim into a table, knocking him to the ground. After recovering, Slim threw a feint and Taylor lashed back with a kick before getting Slim into a headlock, while Slim repeatedly punched at Taylor’s head in an attempt to get free. It’s humiliating. I’m really upset.” Slim went on to state that doctors had warned him against participating in combat sports due to the injury. He has since exited the Kingpyn boxing event, while Taylor claims he’s already scored a replacement opponent for the bout. YouTuber slammed for his defense after wasting 100,000 paper towels YouTube: Tyler OliveiraA YouTuber who used 100,000 paper towels for an experiment in a video was criticized for its environmental impact – and is now under fire for his defense of the video. YouTuber Tyler Oliveira has over 500,000 subscribers at the time of writing, with most of his content being a variety of vlogs and challenges that get millions of views. He grew impressive amounts throughout 2019 and is on his way to being a major name in the YouTube space, but he is now being slammed for defending his use of 100,000 paper towels by people conscious of climate change and environmental issues. On January 10, Oliveira posted a video titled “Can 1,000,000 Paper Towels Absorb A Swimming Pool,” with the premise being very clear. He threw a bunch of paper towels into his pool and tested the results. While he likely thought this was just an innocent challenge video, many fans commented on it condemning his use of so many towels, including comments about how fellow YouTuber MrBeast ran a campaign to plant 20 million trees – and now Oliveira seems to be doing the opposite. However, his defense of the video is what has really made headlines, hitting out at the critics and calling out those who have questioned his actions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjGF7HMJSjQ In his statement, posted as a comment on the video, Oliveira explains that while he understands some people’s frustrations with his use of so many paper towels, “these paper towels existed independently of whether or not I would have used them.” He then questions his detractors’ use of paper and wood, as well as the fact that they are “largely doing nothing to benefit the environment.” He offered three “facts” to the naysayers, saying the following: “The house you live in as you watch this video, is, largely, made of wood. Trees, in fact. – “You probably use enough toilet paper throughout your lifetime to compare to 10x of what we have done with this pool here. – “You are, largely, doing nothing to benefit the environment you so savagely condemn me for single-handedly destroying with 100,000 paper towels.” – In the responses to this comment, a number of people have called him out for his “poor response” to the criticism, while others went so far as to say they were disappointed by this “garbage” video. Oliveira’s final point is that “most criticizing this video’s existence have failed to reflect on their own respective impact, and are just as guilty,” and it’s not likely we’ll see him address the controversy much further than this.

And you know what else it is? Misinformation,” Shallon said in the video. Her frustration stems from the failure of providing any evidence to confirm these claims about her. She added that we live in a digital world and they should be able to have proof that she allegedly influenced millions of people to hate the couple. She added that she has been getting threats from the fans of the Sussexes ever since the documentary was released. Not only that, but Lester also claimed she had a drop in brand outreach following the ordeal. Shallon says the couple deems themselves as experts on “misinformation” but according to her, they are the primary instigators of it. • YouTuber Shiey hits out after strike against illegal train surfing video – Dexerto

YouTuber Shiey hits out after strike against illegal train surfing video YouTube: ShieyYouTuber Shiey has hit out at YouTube after the platform decided to shut down his channel, for seemingly no obvious reason. Shiey is a popular YouTuber with more than 1.3 million subscribers and has built up his following from posting hairraising videos of train surfing and dangerous physical feats. Lately, he has been uploading videos for his series in which he train surfs across Europe. Part 1 and Part 2 of his Europe journey are still live on his YouTube channel, but Shiey recently tweeted that part 3 of the series had been taken down by YouTube because it violates the “harmful and dangerous” policy. The removal of the video is part of YouTube’s strike system where a user is banned from uploading videos for two weeks if they violate the platform’s policy twice, and the channel is permanently removed after three strikes. Shiey says YouTube is currently preventing him from using his main channel. Shiey tweeted a screenshot of the warning sent to him by YouTube and posted: “Interesting how they let other channels do the same thing, but not me,” and refuted the decision. They added: “Btw part 3 was a 30 min video with 5 min of train stuff and 25 min of me walking ’round town with ice cream, camping, and swimming. Sick choice for takedown…” https://twitter.com/shieyfreedom/status/1315247548555288578?s=20 YouTube does give creators the choice to appeal, which Shiey has done, but he claims that he hasn’t heard anything so far. He said that if he continued to be ignored, he would upload the entire journey as one video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS6Nqyl86vk Shiey has created a back-up channel so viewers can still stay up to date with his content, to get around the strikes, and he is spreading the word in the comments on his main channel. He says he will be uploading every video that gets taken down by YouTube on the back-up. Train surfing is illegal on most railways globally, not just because it involves skipping the fare, but because it is seriously life-threatening, whether that be from colliding with infrastructure, falling from a height, or getting electrocuted by a power supply.

  • YouTuber Shmee reveals eye watering cost of running a McLaren supercar – Dexerto

YouTuber Shmee reveals eye watering cost of running a McLaren supercar British YouTube star Tim ‘Shmee150’ Burton has revealed the eye-watering cost of running a McLaren supercar, as well as how much it costs to keep three luxury vehicles just parked in his garage over an extended period of time. The London-based car fanatic said he wanted to share the details of his ongoing maintenance costs for vehicles like his Aston Martin GT8 and Ferrari GTC4Lusso, after he was hit with a hefty warranty extension. Burton took his prized McLaren 675LT Spider for an extension after the car turned three, and he was told it was going to cost £7,800 to continue the coverage for just two more years. After that, the British rev-head decided to reveal to his viewers in a detailed video exactly how much owning cars like his McLaren and Ferrari actually cost as annual figures. “The price to renew from three years to five years was £7,800, so basically just under £4,000 a year. Remember it’s already £3,000 for insurance, £3,000 for storage, £500 for road tax, and £1,500 for the service. That’s £8k off the top of my head,” he said. The McLaren 675LT Spider can sell for prices of up to £300,00 brand new. Unfortunately for Shmee’s wallet, those weren’t the only costs that he’s had to shoulder since investing heavily in high-end cars. There was the warranty waiting in the wings, and the costs on more than one car. “Add warranty, and it’s £12,000 a year or so just to keep it, and that’s not including depreciation and other costs involved. As you can tell it’s quite expensive.” For mobile users, the video segment starts at 10:51. Despite the costs – which only rise further when you add other cars to your collection – Shmee said that he loved owning the cars, but wanted to share the ‘under the hood’ details of what it really costs collectors to maintain their prized possessions. “I wanted to give you all the actual numbers behind these because I certainly have to think about it, I’m lucky enough to own and drive these cars,” he said. “I guess I’m obsessed, and a bit of a collector. I want to grow a car collection, you know this, but I have to think so much now about how much it will cost me to end up keeping all these cars in the garage, and have each one long term, because it’s big numbers, big numbers.” The British car lover revealed he’s paying more than £20,000 a year to maintain his collection. All up, the YouTuber’s multiple cars are stacking up to more than £20,000 just in maintenance and tolls, even though they’re just sitting in the garage looking good. While Burton may be able to afford it, and can use the cars for his regular videos, the prices may make average car owners think twice before they open their wallets for the 2019 McLaren 570S, or Lamborghini’s Sian FKP 37, even if they do look amazing.

  • YouTuber sent to federal prison after crashing plane for content – Dexerto

YouTuber sent to federal prison after crashing plane for content YouTubeYouTuber Trevor Jacob has been sentenced to six months in federal prison after he crashed a plane on purpose and posted the video to social media for views. Back in 2022, Jacob uploaded a video titled ‘I Crashed My Plane’ where he parachuted into the Nevada mountains and left his plane to crash. While Jacob blamed the crash on an “engine failure,” many were convinced there was more to the story and the Federal Aviation Administration revoked his private pilot license. Now, two years after the 2021 crash, Jacob was determined to have lied about the whole thing and will be spending some time in a federal prison as a result. Trevor Jacob jailed after purposefully crashing plane for YouTube views According to CNN, after the crash, Jacob was told to preserve the site and alert the National Transportation Safety Board of where it happened. However, he instead lifted the wreckage with a helicopter, which prosecutors claimed was done to prevent an investigation. “Most likely committed this offense to generate social media and news coverage for himself and to obtain financial gain. Nevertheless, this type of ‘daredevil’ conduct cannot be tolerated,” the prosecution argued. Despite Jacob’s attorneys doing their best to get their client probation instead of jail time, the persecution said that a prison sentence was “necessary” to send a message that social media stunts will not be tolerated. In a letter to the judge, Jacob said he was “sincerely sorry” and admitted he researched plane routes to ensure no one would be hurt due to the crash. This is hardly the first time someone has broken the law for content. Last month, an 11-year-old Florida boy faked a bomb threat at his school in an effort to go viral on TikTok.

  • YouTuber sends Logan Paul & KSI’s Prime drink flying around the world – Dexerto

YouTuber sends Logan Paul & KSI’s Prime drink flying around the world YouTube: KyshaWhen a YouTuber by the name of ‘Kysha’ decided that he wanted his bottle of Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime Hydration to be cold, he did what everyone would least expect — he sent it to space. Long-time rivals Logan Paul and KSI revealed that they had squashed their years of beef for good on January 4, 2022, when the duo announced they had collaborated together to create a new sports drink called Prime Hydration. Since then, the product has been tested by a variety of influencers, including TheStradman, who replaced a car’s engine oil with the sports drink. Now, UK-based YouTuber Kysha has taken things to the next level as he sent a bottle of Prime into space just so he could enjoy the product at a colder temperature. Kysha sends Prime Hydration flying into space In a video uploaded on February 16, 2022, Kysha explained that his refrigerator had broken and he wanted to enjoy a nice, cold Prime instead of at room temperature. So, he had used his knowledge to figure out a plan to send the bottle into space in hopes that when it landed, it would be cold. He and his friends quickly began making a cage that would hold the tropical punch flavored drink and set off to track down the helium needed to make it fly. After a few snags with acquiring the helium, the friend group finished mounting the Go-Pro camera and tracker to their homemade mount and set the bottle off on its maiden voyage. While the bottle began traveling at 100 miles per hour, they all jumped in a car to drive across the country in hopes that Kysha’s calculated landing spot was correct. Several hours later, the tracker revealed that he was wrong — the bottle had flown over the ocean and into Belgium. The group of friends drove back to their house that night, and Kysha went on a trip with his father the next day. A few hours later, they received tracker confirmation that the bottle had stopped moving. Kysha and his dad arrived at the location, and successfully found the bottle of Prime completely intact. Much to the YouTuber’s excitement, the drink was as cold as he expected. While the sports drink quickly sold out, they’ve announced they’re working on a restock. If you want to be like MrBeast and try Prime — check out how to buy.

YouTube family selling $350 replica of their child as merch The Ingham Family / Famous BirthdaysThe Ingham Family, a YouTube channel with over 1.2 million subscribers, is selling a lifelike replica of their child Jace for $350 as merch for fans. It’s not a surprise to see a YouTuber or online personality sell their own merch but most of them focus on clothing, coffee mugs, and other things of that nature. However, The Ingham Family decided to push the boundaries by selling a replica of their child to fans in what has turned out to be a controversial move. 600As pointed out by FFWD, the family announced they were coming out with a 19-inch recreation of their youngest son Jace. This doll captures Jace when he was just two weeks old and comes with three different outfits for you to dress him up in. It will cost consumers $350 and was revealed in a video back in July. This has caused some controversy as fans wondered if it’s ethical to sell a recreation of your child. More than one person has pointed out how it’d be weird for the child to Google their name one day just to realize they were sold as merchandise for their family’s YouTube. 600Upload Merch, a company that ships YouTube merchandise to fans, is prepared to send over 150,000 items this holiday season, but their founder thinks the child replica is crossing lines. “Selling a replica of a two-week-old baby crosses the line in my opinion and it’s surprising that the Ingham Family are comfortable with selling a replica of their child,” said Stuart Jones to FFWD. “I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable retailing a similar product for any of our talent.” Right or wrong, The Ingham Family is going forward with this and it’ll be interesting to see what type of sales they do. It’s hard to imagine something like a lifelike replica of a child you don’t know being popular, but in today’s age of selling bath water, it’s difficult to be too surprised.

The donation clearly felt surreal to Amber: “Stop! No you’re lying, but no I don’t think you realize…if I got evicted I would literally have nowhere to go cause my own parents have liked denied me.” Crispy’s actions haven’t gone amiss with viewers, with TikTok users labeling him the “GOAT” and a “King” for helping someone in need.

  • YouTuber says he was on NBA Draft list despite never playing college basketball – Dexerto

YouTuber says he was on NBA Draft list despite never playing college basketball YouTube: Jordan HaberA YouTuber is claiming to have found a loophole that got him on the 2023 NBA Draft list without ever playing a game of college basketball. There’s no doubt that there are millions of kids nationwide that have at least dreamed about being drafted into the NBA to get paid to play basketball. YouTuber Jordan Haber grew up loving basketball himself, and, after graduating college with a law degree, he decided to check into the rules behind becoming a member of the 2023 NBA Draft. He’s since been successful at doing so and uploaded a YouTube video revealing just how he managed the impressive feat. YouTuber sneaks into NBA Draft class of 2023 Uploaded on May 28, Jordan Haber went through the steps he took to find the loophole and showed off the final email that got him into the 2023 NBA Draft Class. After sitting down to read the entire NBA bargaining agreement to see if he could find the loophole, he stumbled upon the page that lists all of the requirements to join the NBA Draft. He had to be 19 and graduate from a four-year college in the United States — both of which he had down pat. After sending all the proper documents to the NBA and getting confirmation they were received, the association released a list of players approved and Jordan was nowhere to be seen. However, he didn’t give up and sent a follow-up email asking why his name was missing. Less than 30 minutes later, Jordan received an email stating that he was eligible for the NBA Draft. “Your name was contained on a list sent to NBA teams. You are eligible for the 2023 NBA Draft,” it said. He hasn’t shared what has gone on since that email was received, but it’s clear that he managed to find a loophole to become a part of the draft although he wasn’t actually drafted. • YouTuber Ryan Trahan hits back at Topper Guild over stolen video ideas – Dexerto

YouTuber Ryan Trahan hits back at Topper Guild over stolen video ideas YouTube: Topper Guild, Ryan TrahanYouTube star Ryan Trahan hit back at Topper Guild after the TikToker allegedly copied of one of his YouTube shorts for his content. Ryan Trahan is a YouTuber who exploded into popularity in the middle of 2022 with his penny challenge and delivering a single penny to MrBeast. Seeing certain videos of Trahan earn lots of views inspired other content creators to put their own spin on his ideas, but some are seemingly plagiarizing his viral videos hoping for the same results. One of the creators accused of plagiarizing Trahan is a TikTok content creator Topper Guild. There are videos on YouTube and TikTok accusing Guild of copying ideas from other creators like MrBeast and criticizing him for wasting food in his content. When someone revealed to Ryan that Guild copied a script of one of his YouTube shorts almost word for word, the content creator only had this to say: “how is this even fun to do.” Fans disappointed by Guild’s content copying Ryan’s reaction garnered over 1,600,000 views at the time of writing and although he did not have much to say besides his initial comment, many users agreed that this behavior should not be acceptable on social media. “The unoriginality is off the chain these days. It’s crazy there is no way to reprimand this type of behavior,” tweeted one user. HasanAbi pointed out in the replies just how much Guild profited off the TikTok that’s allegedly plagiarized: “He got 195k likes he will never stop.” Topper has not made a statement regarding the allegations at the time of writing.

  • YouTuber Sam Chui blown away by unbelievable “private suite” at LAX – Dexerto

YouTuber Sam Chui blown away by unbelievable “private suite” at LAX YouTube: Sam ChuiAvoiding the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest airports in the world, Sam Chui recently kicked back and experienced the relaxing private suite at the Los Angeles International Airport. Popular YouTuber Sam Chui has grown a following on the back of his regular vlogs where he shares some of the most extraordinary traveling experiences on the planet. From private jets to his very own room on various flights, the YouTuber has seen and done it all, but even he was floored throughout his first visit to a private suite at LAX. Rather than having to make his way through the crowds at the airport, upon departing the first leg of his trip, the YouTuber was immediately greeted when landing in Los Angeles. A chauffeur escorted him out of a private exit and over towards a vehicle of their own. From there, he was driven across the airport and dropped off at his very own private suite to pass the time between flights. With a massage table already set up before he stepped foot in the door, the YouTuber was clearly taken aback by just how over the top the experience truly was. Ramping things up a notch further, his personal escort explained how his custom suite happened to be the only one that featured an outdoor area as well. The suite comes packed full of amenities from snacks to a larger menu of freshly cooked food, and even a fully stocked fridge with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages alike. “This is beyond the next step of travel really,” the YouTuber explained as he highlighted a number of candy dispensers on the wall. “The privacy is the best part. I don’t think I could go back to any airline lounge after experiencing something on this level.” Taking a private shuttle to board his next business class flight after getting a massage, he steered clear of any crowds once again as he was taken directly to his seat thanks to the unreal experience. The private suite will run travelers a pretty penny as those looking to enjoy the higher-end experience will first need to become members of PS Club. The annual membership comes in at $4,500 per person before frequent flyers are then able to pay the $3,150 to actually book in a one-time use of the private suite. Given the YouTuber’s reaction to the facilities on offer though, it seems like an extraordinary way for the wealthy traveler to avoid crowds at any cost.

  • YouTuber Ryan Trahan completes extreme MrBeast penny challenge on final day – Dexerto

YouTuber Ryan Trahan completes extreme MrBeast penny challenge on final day Ryan TrahanYouTuber Ryan Trahan has completed his bizarre challenge of crossing the United States in 30 days, starting with just one penny, to deliver a penny to Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson before the US Mint stops producing them. Ryan Trahan has climbed the ranks to become one of the most innovative creators on YouTube. From undertaking peculiar challenges like spending days on end VR Minecraft to staying in the world’s loudest room for as long as possible, the YouTuber has amassed close to 10M subscribers. However, at the end of May, the 23-year-old set out on a new quest. After successfully surviving on just $0.01 for an entire week, the YouTube star has followed up with a new challenge that many would deem to be impossible. Before the US Mint stops production of its penny in 2023, Ryan set out on a road trip to cross the U.S in 30 days to deliver one to MrBeast all while raising money for Feeding America along the way. After a long and grueling month of making money in any way he can and documenting the entire thing daily, he finally completed the challenge. The challenge began in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, with the goal of reaching MrBeast in a small town in North Carolina on the opposite side of the country. However, there are three main rules Ryan must stick by: All profit must come from the penny. All food, boarding, and transportation must come from profit from the penny. And finally, he must reach MrBeast in 30 days. Immediately kicking off the challenge, Ryan scrambled to turn some profit. After a few trades, he worked his way up to a dollar, where he bought a bottle of water to sell for two bucks. The next 30 days would be surprisingly entertaining. On his journey, Ryan went from telling jokes to drunk people on the famous Las Vegas strip, to mowing lawns, delivering food and walking dogs in Texas. However, the road trip certainly wouldn’t be easy. As the main goal was to raise as much money as possible for Feeding America, Ryan gave donators incentives. With every donation of $50k, it would activate the ‘The Great Reset’ – which would force Ryan to give up all his cash and reset back to a penny. Ryan Trahan completes MrBeast penny challenge Ryan was reset on multiple occasions throughout the 30 days, sometimes losing hundreds of dollars at a time. On his final few days of the challenge, Ryan was in Nashville, Tennesse – over 600 miles away from MrBeast. However, after selling ice-cold soda in the extreme heat, Ryan collected enough to purchase the final plane ticket to North Carolina. In an emotional last video on Day 30, and in a complete miracle, Trahan completed the challenge and gave Jimmy his long-awaited gift. Of course, in classic MrBeast fashion, he had a trick up his sleeve. At the finish line, Jimmy laid out four briefcases, each containing money ranging from $0 to $100k – which Ryan was forced to pick one. Fortunately, the YouTuber picked out a case that had $50k sitting in it. (Timestamp at 14:21) While it’s certainly impressive that Ryan managed to cross an entire country with just a cent, it’s even more noteworthy that he raised over a million dollars doing so. With the original goal of raising $100k, Trahan and his YouTube community raised 13.8M meals and counting for Feeding America. Along the way, he gained over 2.3M subscribers and garnered over 250M views on YouTube during the month of June alone. Overall, the series was nothing short of spectacular, and certainly worth watching. Kudos to Ryan for completing the challenge.

  • YouTuber Rosanna Pansino reveals why her dog “Cookie” passed away – Dexerto

YouTuber Rosanna Pansino reveals why her dog “Cookie” passed away Rosanna Pansino, InstagramYouTuber, baker and actress Rosanna Pansino updated fans with an emotional video on March 21 explaining the sudden passing of her French Bulldog, Cookie, due to unexpected health issues. While Pansino addressed the matter via Instagram and Twitter, the star realized she hadn’t opened up about the full story on her YouTube channel, which boasts an impressive 11.9 million subscribers. The YouTuber explained that she became wise to her dog’s health issues after Cookie declined to eat her breakfast, which prompted Pansino to take her furry friend to the vet right away. Although the veterinarian claimed her pooch was fine, Pansino demanded her dog undergo a series of tests in the event of a serious complication. This ended up being the right call, as they discovered her dog’s kidney levels were concerningly high. After hearing this alarming news, the YouTuber rushed Cookie to an emergency vet clinic, where the pet was diagnosed with kidney disease. That wasn’t the end of her pooch’s health issues, either; she later suffered from an autoimmune reaction that caused her body to attack itself, and despite doing everything in her power to keep Cookie alive, Pansino’s pet sadly passed away on March 8. “She had so much more life to live,” she explained. “She just was taken too soon, so I think that’s why this loss has felt more difficult and traumatic, and also the bond she and I had was unlike any other bond I’ve ever had with another animal.” This unfortunate news comes shortly after the passing of her father in December 2019, who made several appearances in her cooking videos. Despite being diagnosed with Leukemia six years prior to his passing, Pansino claimed her father “refused to let his diagnosis stop him from living life his way” — something she addressed in her March 21 video about Cookie. I am heartbroken. Late last night my dad passed away. He had been fighting Leukemia for 6 years and refused to let his diagnosis stop him from living life his way. I love you Dad. You taught me how to be strong, caring, and to never back down. You made me who I am today. pic.twitter.com/RjzcIoZjB4 — Rosanna Pansino (@RosannaPansino) December 17, 2019 “It was also really difficult because of the loss of my dad,” she said. “Cookie and my dad’s symptoms, and how they passed, were so similar. It is a little haunting, actually, and that is what I am dealing with right now.” Pansino’s fanbase has come out in full support following her back-to-back massive losses. But, in spite of the tragedy, she is determined to celebrate her pup’s life by sharing their happy moments together in the midst of what’s an anxious time right now for the entire world.

Roman Atwood is one of YouTube’s most popular vloggers and family channels, boasting over 15 million subscribers thanks to the creative and hilarious antics he gets into with his wife and children. However, the YouTuber went dark around a year ago, revealing to fans that his mother had passed away after falling off of a scooter at 80 years of age, hitting her head and “immediately losing all vitals.” The tragic incident saw an outpouring of support from viewers and Atwood took an extended break from making content — a hiatus that he finally emerged from in August 2020 in two back-to-back videos. In his first video of 2020, Atwood revealed that he wants to tell fans why he’d been gone for so long but explained that now isn’t the right time, but assured those worrying about him that both he and his family are completely healthy and safe. His next video, however, brought forth a major update for the Atwood family: the upcoming introduction of a new addition to the clan. Roman and his wife, Brittney, revealed that they are purposefully holding off from learning the baby’s gender until its birth, which is scheduled to occur on New Year’s Eve. “We wanted to be the first to tell you guys this,” Roman admitted, noting that a few “internet detectives” had already guessed their surprise. “We wanted to try to bring some joy into your world, as well.” “It isn’t the reason that we left,” Brittney added. “We left long before I got pregnant.” That’s not all; Atwood even revealed that they’d initially wanted to tease fans with a hint before uploading his previous vlog, but decided against it until they could make an official announcement. Thus far, Brittney is 21 roughly weeks pregnant, meaning that the couple has about five months until they meet their new child; and it’s safe to say that fans are just as excited as they are, even if the reason for their hiatus is still up in the air.

  • YouTuber reveals what it’s like living in Japan amid coronavirus crisis – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals what it’s like living in Japan amid coronavirus crisis Instagram: @heyitssharla / UnsplashCanadian-born YouTuber Sharla ‘Sharmander’ revealed what it’s like living in Japan during the outbreak of the 2019 coronavirus, and the ongoing panic amongst citizens and residents. The coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has been one of the top subjects in mainstream media over the last few weeks over fears it’s spreading worldwide after originating in China in late 2019. Over 90,000 cases have been confirmed across the world, which in turn has generated a mass-hysteria. In Japan, only a small number of people have been confirmed to have contracted the virus at the time of writing, but panic has set in and residents are making preparations to protect themselves from it at all costs. YouTuber Sharmander, a Canadian who resides in Northern Japan, has revealed just how much it’s impacting daily life in the country. https://www.instagram.com/p/BypYgmgFcaR/ In a March 2 upload, Sharla started the video by driving to the grocery store with her friend Mark, who had come home from school earlier than planned due to the country closing them early after the outbreak. “He is officially on spring vacation, the school year in Japan usually ends mid-March, but because of the virus they have closed the schools starting now, two weeks early…So everybody’s kind of panicking because parents are having trouble finding people to take care of their kids,” she began. The YouTuber then talked about how there’s a shortage of everyday essentials such as toilet paper. “Up until a couple of days ago, things were just normal, nobody was really panicking…When the Prime Minister announced that the schools would be closing, people kinda started to panic,” she said. “Someone said there was going to be a lack of toilet paper in Japan because [it] was being manufactured in China. It was a complete lie, but it spread throughout Japan…and now we can’t get toilet paper because people have been hoarding it all!” “Everything is gone from the grocery store, Mark’s gonna drive us out to a bigger grocery store today and we’re gonna see if they have any stock left but my local one didn’t have anything, they haven’t for the past three days now,” she continued. “It’s not just toilet paper, you can’t buy masks, you can’t buy hand sanitizer, bread… Bread is completely gone, rice… Like, all the essentials, people are just stocking up on and there’s just not enough for everybody.” Sharla then explained why she feels as though the approximately 200 confirmed cases of the virus is an understatement. “As for the number of cases in Japan, there really aren’t that many that have been officially reported… But I have a feeling that the numbers are so low because the government refuses to test people!” she said. “Like, people will go in with a high fever and lots of the symptoms, and they’ll question you and ask if you’ve directly been to Wuhan or if you’ve been in direct contact with somebody who has the virus, and if you say that, they’ll be like ‘Oh, we won’t test you then.’” “You could have easily just picked it up on public transportation, but the criteria for testing here are so strict that they’re not testing anybody and it’s really crazy, even for old people they say that you have to have a fever for two days straight before they will consider testing you,” she continued. “And that’s really dangerous because health officials were saying that if an elderly person has the virus long enough that they’ve had a fever for two straight days, they’re already so bad that they might not be able to heal from it!” The Canadian stated that she was “pretty disappointed” in how the country has been handling the way they’ve been testing people, and that it might be because they don’t want to cancel the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. “I’m pretty disappointed in the way that Japan is dealing with it, it’s quite lame. I have a feeling it’s because they don’t want the numbers to rise because then the Olympics would be canceled. It would be great to know exactly what’s going on and what the actual numbers are.” The World Health Organization is advising the public to wash their hands frequently with soap and water or anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, to avoid touching the nose, eyes and mouth, and cover the mouth when coughing or sneezing. They also advise people stay at least three feet (one metre) away from anyone who you suspect could be sick – a big reason why masks are sold out absolutely everywhere.

Still, the burgers are beloved and whipped up quickly, putting them right along an undefined fast-food border and making them subject to ReviewBrah’s judgment. From the branding to the burger, fries and beverage, YouTube’s renowned taste tester dove into Shake Shack’s qualities with a meticulous lens. While he had some uncertainties about the Shack Sauce and fries, his highly requested opinion skews very positive toward the main course burger. As coiffed as always, rocking a sharp little formal get-up, ReviewBrah (of YouTube’s TheReportOftheWeek) gets in-depth and tackles ratings for each of Shake Shack’s major items. Explaining that he couldn’t try Shake Shack out due to regional unavailability, ReviewBrah has finally gotten his chance and that means his audience gets a highly anticipated review. First things first, the branding. ReviewBrah describes Shake Shack’s logo in an exquisite fashion: “This is interesting … we have a sideways, crescent moon, a wave of the ocean, a hot dog, and then a log.” Then, the main attraction, the “Shackburger,” which the esteemed reviewer describes as a “basic burger,” but “really juicy” and “teeming with flavor.” Despite not being particularly impressed by the Shack Sauce, he ends up giving the burger itself a nearly perfect 9/10. To round things out, ReviewBrah then dives into the fries and vanilla milkshake. All part of a relatively affordable meal he picked out. A little unimpressed, he called the fries “unremarkable” and graded them a 6.5. As for the shake, he noted some malt flavor and gave it a decent 7. In sum, ReviewBrah appears to enjoy Shake Shack’s burger and that’s enough to keep him enticed for the future. “All things considered, Shake Shack — burger, I really enjoyed it. I’ll probably be back again for more of the burgers, definitely. I don’t know if I’ll get it with the fries, but you know maybe a shake.”

  • YouTuber reveals terrifying effects after 24 hours in VR horror games – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals terrifying effects after 24 hours in VR horror games Youtube: Dara TahDara Tah is an Irish YouTuber producing 24 hour challenge content. His most recent endeavor was to undergo 24 hours of virtual reality horror gaming, and the effects lasted longer than he’d anticipated. Dara has produced a variety of “24 hour” style content on his growing YouTube channel. Some of his most popular challenges include staying in a public toilet for 24 hours and sleeping in Ireland’s most haunted cottage alone. But he took this to the next level when he embarked on his most recent challenge: staying in a virtual reality horror game for 24 hours straight. He enlisted his girlfriend to help film him, and also to bring him food so as not to break the 24 hour streak. Prior to starting he mentioned he was most worried about nausea, having “never done VR before.” His friends were not optimistic that he would last the full 24 hours. He submerged himself in games such as A Chair in a Room, Dreadhalls, and even had a surf through Google Earth as a break from the horror. “Literally living in a horror game” was taken to the next level, when Dara tried to sleep with the headset on, snoozing to the sound of “crazy screechy cannibal guys.” The lingering effects He ended the video a few days after he had finally removed the headset, only to find that the effects had not totally stopped. Dara explained that “the sensation that I’m still in a headset has kind of ebbed into real life,” and that he sometimes felt surprised that his hands “are actually attached to arms.” Perhaps most frightening of all, the “sense of dread that anything could be round the next corner” has stayed with him days after the headset came off.

  • YouTuber reportedly faked GTA livestream to have an alibi while he committed murder – Dexerto

YouTuber reportedly faked GTA livestream to have an alibi while he committed murder Unsplash: Alexander ShatovA YouTube streamer has been charged with the murder of a woman, with authorities claiming that the content creator faked a live stream during the time of her death as a way to give himself an alibi. As reported by Insider, “Prosecutors say Stephen McCullagh set up a fake, pre-recorded video game livestream to use as an alibi for the stabbing death of a pregnant woman.” McCullagh has been charged with the murder of Natalie McNally, her death having taken place last December. As part of the murder charge, McCullagh has been accused of faking an appearance on a live YouTube stream on the night of McNally’s death, using the content to form an alibi for the accusations. However, it has been reported that the stream in question was actually pre-recorded content. At his court hearing this past Thursday, prosecutors alleged that McCullagh had orchestrated a “sophisticated, calculated, and cool-headed plot.” The prosecutors then added he was “capable of deception beyond imagination,” according to The Guardian. As part of the hearing, a technical analysis was conducted to look into the accusations that McCullagh’s live stream was in fact a pre-record. The analysis pointed out that, despite McCullagh insisting the video was live, his lack of reply to his live chat during the stream caused investigators to take issue with his claims, senior police investigator Neil McGuinness told The Guardian. McCullagh claimed that he was unable to respond to the live chat because of a “technical glitch.” According to the Belfast Telegraph, McCullagh eventually admitted to authorities that the live stream was not recorded on the night of McNally’s death. McCullagh also allegedly left his phone in McNally’s house after her murder. So far, no definitive resolution has been made for the case and for the murder of McNally. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the situation unfolds.

  • YouTuber reveals how Mr Beast actually made his fortune from Bitcoin – Dexerto

YouTuber reveals how Mr Beast actually made his fortune from Bitcoin Pixabay/MrBeast[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]A new video could explain how YouTube star Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson really made his money investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin before becoming a huge sensation as an influencer. The video, created by YouTuber ‘Bulldog Finance,’ digs into Mr Beast’s past, and how – when he first started making videos – he was heavily invested in Bitcoin. During an appearance on KEEMSTAR’s ‘Mom’s Basement’ podcast, Mr Beast was asked about how his old house was broken into and how he may have lost some Bitcoin, although he managed to recover it and move it to a different wallet. According to Bulldog Finance, some time ago, Mr Beast purged his channel of all cryptocurrency content. However, there is still some evidence proving that they existed, such an old article that discusses how the YouTuber bought a $100,000 car through cryptocurrency investments. Additionally, Reddit comments from some of Donaldson’s early fans recall the existence of videos about Bitcoin and other investments. One user even suggested that Mr Beast had an older account on the site by the name of ‘mrbeast6000.’ This account, while not confirmed to be Mr Beast, does have some striking similarities to the YouTuber. For one, while it’s not mentioned in the video, Mr Beast’s own YouTube channel is technically under “MrBeast6000,” as seen in the address bar of his page. Plus, the account has promoted Mr Beast videos on the Reddit, with the most damning piece of evidence being a League of Legends video posted on the YouTube channel showing the in-game name of ‘Beast60000.’ “Based what I would regard to be the balance of probabilities from the content of the account’s past activities, I believe this is Mr Beast’s old Reddit account,” Bulldog Finance claimed. The account’s comments range from referencing ordering one thousand graphics cards for a crypto warehouse to discussing the risks involved with cryptocurrency investing. “It’s clear that Mr Beast was a competent cryptocurrency investor,” the YouTuber said. “It’s also clear that by his initial surge in wealth creation that Mr Beast was able to begin upscaling the budget of his videos, introducing a style similar to what we see today.” It’s certainly a very interesting concept, and could very well explain exactly how Mr Beast began his rise to fame and amassed his fortune.

YouTuber reduces homeless couple to tears with incredible $15k donation Instagram/YouTube: phillipqvuA small YouTuber surprised a homeless couple with $15,000 that was donated by his viewers, and it left them completely in tears with the possibility of turning their life around. Often, you’ll see the biggest creators on YouTube or Twitch giving away huge amounts of money to their friends or fans. It’s not too often, though, you see them given away to people that really, truly need it. That’s exactly what happened when this YouTuber accidentally stumbled upon a homeless man in Connecticut, who was offering to clean his car for just a couple of dollars. Phillip Q Vu is a small YouTuber and TikToker who filmed a couple of videos with Mike, who was living on the streets of Connecticut. Luckily, they went viral, and Phillip realized he could use those numbers to do some good. After racking up around 5 million views on two TikToks with Mike, Phillip decided that he would put together a fundraiser to help him and his girlfriend, Megan, who suffers from multiple health problems. Phillip had already revealed the big surprise to Mike, showing him the amount of money that had been raised as well as providing him a gifted bag of sportswear. Mike, naturally, was in tears, delighted at what was happening. However, they decided to keep it a secret from Megan to really surprise her and let her know that their life could be turning around. On March 17, Phillip uploaded the second video. In it, Megan detailed her medical hardships, as she has Multiple Sclerosis and Idiopathic Arthritis. Needless to say, the money could go a long way for this couple trying to get their life back on track. As expected, Megan couldn’t believe her luck, and immediately burst into tears when she realized that they had been donated $15,000. Mike’s excitement was palpable, and Phillip humbly passed on all the thanks to his viewers who raised the money. At the time of writing, Phillip has under 6,000 subscribers on YouTube and 400k on TikTok. He lives out of his car while traveling across the US and the world. If he keeps up with content like this, though, we can see him earning a bigger following in the future — and hopefully helping even more people on the way.

Allegations against Diaz, 33, surfaced on July 11 when YouTuber Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem uploaded a 24-minute long DramAlert about a now-deleted Instagram post made by Diaz’s supposed girlfriend, 17-year-old Angelica Salek. In the post, a man alleged to be Diaz could be heard screaming threats at Salek. The social media personality had rubbished those claims as the pair running through an acting lesson but Salek appeared on DramaAlert via phone call, admitting that it was a real situation, not fake. The 17-year-old also opened up about other instances of abuse, detailing parts about their relationship – including the length of time that they were together but did not disclose information about their sexual activity. Following the DramaAlert interview, the Los Angeles police department stated, via their Twitter account, that they would be investigating the claims made against a ‘social media personality’ who had allegedly had sexual relationships with a minor and also physical abuse. They did not name Diaz. Yet, on July 12, the LAPD confirmed the news – again, via a Twitter post – about Diaz’s arrest earlier in the day. • YouTuber Pyrocynical slams Twitch for months of alleged silence amid Partnership blunder – Dexerto

YouTuber Pyrocynical slams Twitch for months of alleged silence amid Partnership blunder YouTube: Pyrocynical / TwitchYouTube star Niall ‘Pyrocynical’ Comas has lashed out at Twitch for the abrupt removal of his Partnership status, despite months of alleged silence from his local Partnerships team. Earning the label of Partner on Twitch is about more than just status. With Partnership comes more features for your channel, clearer paths of communication with Twitch staff, and often, a better split of subscription revenue. Thus, even popular social media celebs like Pyrocynical have ample reason to reach that level on the Amazon-owned platform. Having dedicated himself for over a year, applying for Partner four times along the way, he finally got that tick next to his name in 2022, though not through conventional means. Weeks later and not only has the Partnership now been revoked, but so too has Pyrocynical’s Affiliate status, barring him from many standard features including a Subscription button on his channel. “Twitch has essentially soft-banned me off the platform,” he claimed during a May 30 explanation on YouTube. “I have applied for Partner a lot,” Pyrocynical explained in light of recent developments. Providing evidence of all communication with the EMEA Partnership team, the content creator revealed four instances where he applied throughout 2021. First in April, two times in September, and once more in November. All four times he seemingly met the requirements in terms of both viewership and hours streamed. “I jumped through all the hoops and it wasn’t good enough for [Twitch],” he stressed. The final application is where the situation grew more complicated. Rather than denying his Partnership, his local Twitch representatives simply “never replied,” Pyrocynical claimed. “It has been three months and not a single reply from Twitch.” During this stretch, there’s no way to “retract the application,” he continued. “You’re essentially stuck in purgatory hoping someone at Twitch finds your application.” As a result, Pyrocynical took matters into his own hands and hired a new management company to contact Twitch’s North American Partnerships team instead. With their very first attempt, this agency secured Partnership status for his Twitch account. However, it didn’t last long as the EMEA team soon caught wind. “I got Partnered… for about two months, then they took it away again,” he said. “I’ve been de-Partnered, I’m not even an Affiliate anymore, I have no Sub button.” An email that arrived from the EMEA Twitch Partnerships team explained why this agreement was “immediately [terminated].” “You did not employ appropriate conduct when, after your Partner Application was denied by Twitch’s EMEA Partnerships team, you solicited Twitch’s North America Partnership team to become a Twitch Partner,” the email read. The key detail being that Pyrocynical supposedly failed to disclose the “denial of [his] application by the EMEA Partnership team.” This miscommunication in light of months of inactivity from his local team, has now resulted in all Partner and Affiliate perks being stripped from his Twitch account. As for what comes next, Pyrocynical isn’t all too certain. Though with his future on Twitch not seeming bright, he teased a potential move to rival platform YouTube Gaming. We’ll have to see if Twitch looks to resolve this issue once and for all, or if Pyrocynical’s channel remains without Partnership status indefinitely.

It was careless of me not to consider who was behind the role-play / art sharing, and I take full accountability.” Pyrocynical went on to say that the conversations were fully consensual and that the accuser never disclosed his age until a year later. He also pointed to evidence of similar conversations between Ivory and others and an interview in which they confirmed Pyrocynical never sent any IRL content. One viral video of the YouTuber showed Nas Ebk pulling out a knife and threatening a couple. He threatened physical harm after the couple was unable to recognize him while pulling a prank at an airport. I’ll stab you right now. How you feeling? How you feeling? What? You think you tough bro?” His companion Noticuz stepped in between the two parties, attempting to defuse the situation from escalating. The records, which are from Duval County, Florida, state that a man – who, at the very least, has an identical name – was booked into custody on May 16 at 11:15 PM. They also state that he was arrested for allegations of domestic battery and causing bodily harm, and was later released on a $2,503.00 bond. Additionally, according to a police report, the accused was reportedly in a physical altercation with his girlfriend while they were having sex. Eventually, his girlfriend bit him and ran out of the house naked. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1395407715418079234 Neither party completed any of the paperwork and were placed under arrest. PopularMMOs is denying the claims, telling fans “don’t believe everything you hear.” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1394881392819937281 “I will need to address the false accusations soon,” he added. While these allegations and the name alone do not confirm that the YouTuber was in fact the one arrested, a report by Heavy suggests the accused and the content creator are one and the same. According to Heavy, the public information officer for Jacksonville police said “Yes, he was arrested,” and confirmed the charges. https://twitter.com/PopularMMOS/status/1394934119772086276 Things only get stranger when factoring in PopularMMO’s wife Jen into the mix. However, she later clarified that this was not intentional. “I do not use Twitter regularly and when I was messaged about all this drama I went on to see what was being said. By accident I liked a tweet that is now being seen in a poor manner,” she explained. “Pat never in the 10 years we were together laid a hand on me,” she continued. “I just want to say this because I feel Pat is being unfairly portrayed. I apologize for adding more smoke to the fire and I did not want to get involved, but do not believe everything you hear from people who know nothing of the situation.” PopularMMOs boasts a fairly impressive Minecraft YouTube channel, boasting over 17M subscribers. He has yet to upload a video since news of the allegations and his supposed arrest surfaced.

  • YouTuber Preston reveals which viral TikTok life hacks actually work – Dexerto

YouTuber Preston reveals which viral TikTok life hacks actually work Preston, YouTubePopular content creator ‘Preston’ Arsement tested many of the top viral TikTok life hack videos to see which ones actually worked. The TikTok app, formerly known as Musically, has exploded in popularity towards the end of 2019 and has seen a massive spike in users on the platform. Users create short videos on the app which are typically around fifteen seconds long before publishing them for everyone to see. TikTok creators have come up with many different approaches to creating a viral video, but sharing some simple life hacks to make someone’s day a little easier has proven to do quite well on the app. YouTube star Preston has built a massive following for the wide variety of content across games such as Minecraft and Fortnite as well as his popular Vlog series. In the popular content creator’s latest vlog he set out to debunk and prove right many of the viral TikTok videos that have been leaving viewers shocked. Preston gathered his friends and family and began trying to replicate many of the unusual life hacks that had gone viral. Among the list of hacks featured included ones such as turning the inside of a watermelon blue with soda, creating pancakes on a coffee machine and a trick to make any pack of chips resealable. To his surprise, there were quite a few life hacks that ended up working out successfully, such as cleaning dirty shoes with toothpaste, although for the most part the majority of the ‘life hacks’ were quite difficult to pull off. It is possible that some of the life hacks he took inspiration from could have been faked or exaggerated by the creators in an attempt to go viral, however, the ones that actually worked out for Preston were quite impressive.

  • YouTuber Philip DeFranco calls out New York Times for apparently labeling him “far-right” – Dexerto

YouTuber Philip DeFranco calls out New York Times for apparently labeling him “far-right” Philip DeFranco, YouTube / Wikimedia CommonsPhilip DeFranco is a popular face on YouTube, known for bringing a largely impartial take on current events and popular culture through his growing team of journalists – but one major news outlet is painting him in a less-than-favorable light. The New York Times published a piece called ‘The Making of a YouTube Radical’ on June 8, which told the story of “college dropout” Caleb Cain, who had reportedly been indoctrinated with far-right ideology thanks to various YouTube channels – one of which appeared to be Philip DeFranco. As users scroll through the piece, they are met with a series of YouTube thumbnails featuring such figures as Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson. However, one face stands out in the mix: that of Philip DeFranco, who called out the New York times for this apparent alignment with the far-right. 600https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/06/08/technology/youtube-radical.html“Hey uhhh @nytimes…what the fuck is this?” DeFranco Tweeted. NYT tech columnist Kevin Roose was quick to reply to DeFranco, explaining that the thumbnails were a sample of 12,000 videos taken from Cain’s YouTube history from 2015 onwards – a statement backed up by a memo at the beginning of the article. Hey, writer here. This collage is just a sample from his viewing history. Some far-right, some not. — Kevin Roose (@kevinroose) June 8, 2019 “Hey, writer here,” Roose responded. “This collage is just a sample from his viewing history. Some far-right, some not.” However, DeFranco was nonplussed by Roose’s explanation, arguing that users skimming through the piece might label him as a far-right mouthpiece due to his appearance in collage. “Then please speak with your graphics department,” DeFranco shot back. “Because this slowly disappearing thumbnail collage with escalating language seems to insinuate a lot. You know how many people skim or just read headlines.” Then please speak with your graphics department. Bc this slowly disappearing thumbnail collage with escalating language seems to insinuate a lot. You know how many people skim or just read headlines. — Philip DeFranco (@PhillyD) June 8, 2019 DeFranco wasn’t the only high-profile YouTuber to speak out on the issue, either; Drama Alert’s Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem likewise called out the Times in a Tweet of his own, despite his ongoing and largely one-sided beef with DeFranco. “The NY Times. the most trusted news source in America, literally suggested @PhillyD was Far Right!!!” KEEMSTAR wrote. “Hahahahah journalism in America is dead!!!” The NY Times the most trusted news source in America literally suggested @PhillyD was Far Right!!! • YouTuber pops off after insanely intense high-level Beat Saber play – Dexerto

YouTuber pops off after insanely intense high-level Beat Saber play YouTuber and Twitch streamer ‘Bandoot’ showed off his absolutely insane abilities in Beat Saber, and had the best reaction after conquering a very difficult song. If you’re looking for a game for your shiny new VR headset, look no further than Beat Saber. Best described as a blend between Guitar Hero and Star Wars, players are given two sabers and have to slice the music notes as they zoom on by – something that’s a lot harder than it sounds. Bandoot hit the 1,000-hour mark in Beat Saber, which is no small feat no matter which way you slice it, and was able to show off the skills he learned along the way by taking on a song called Boogie Woogie Splatter Show, which, in case you’re wondering, is not a song found in the base game. He played the song on Expert+ difficulty, which is the highest in the game and is a gigantic leap from Expert, which is the selection right before it. While he didn’t hit every note, he blew viewers away with his sheer speed, and the fact he didn’t fail the song from the get-go. In the end, he was relieved to have finally gotten past this barrier and celebrated with his chat. “Yo, let’s go,” he exclaimed. “I did it! You guys were here! Yo! I’m insane. Finally, after all these years of trying to pass it, every single time I’ve tried playing it today, today’s the day I finally passed it.” Beat Saber is considered to be one of the best VR games out there, and the fact it’s available on every platform makes it extremely accessible. It’s worth mentioning that the song Bandoot played will only be available on PC through the use of mods. If you are playing on PS4 then you’ll have to rely on official soundtracks as DLC for new songs. Bandoot is very well-known in the Beat Saber community, and streams it quite often so if you’re looking to be amazed even more then look no further.

  • YouTuber Philion claims Tfue’s transformation is “not humanly possible” – Dexerto

YouTuber Philion claims Tfue’s transformation is “not humanly possible” YouTube: Philion/TfueFitness YouTuber Philion has claimed that Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s recent transformation is “not humanly possible,” noting that he’d need a lot more than the fitness plans that have been revealed to get into his current shape. Back on June 25, Tfue revealed a stunning body transformation as he’d packed on the muscle and started to fill out six-foot-two frame. Though he claimed that he’d done it all clean by using a brand-new $100,000 home gym and a new fitness plan, there have been some skeptics. Bodybuilder Greg Doucette claimed that the Fortnite superstar had to have been using steroids to get as ripped as he had. Tfue fired back at those claims live on Twitch, claiming that the bodybuilder knew he did it all naturally and was just calling him out for publicity. Though, Doucette isn’t the only skeptic. YouTuber Philion uploaded his analysis of Tfue’s transformation on June 27, claiming that his change was “not humanly possible,” and that he had a few problems with the Fortnite getting ripped. “The problem I have here is that Tfue just got bigger while maintaining the same, if not less, body fat,” the YouTuber said. “15lbs of lean muscle in six months is not humanly possible without the help of a Slurp Juice or Chug Jug.” The fitness YouTuber also analyzed Tfue’s fitness routine, noting that it was slightly ‘cookie-cutter’ and lacked som progressions that would see him actually reach the state he’s currently in. “Tracking Tfue’s strength progress would give us a lot more answers as to whether this transformation was natural or not,” he said. “Because, if he’s benching 225 in under six months, that’s really suspect and I doubt that he’s natural.” Philion further added that Tfue worked hard for his transformation, but he does he believe it’s natural? “Absolutely not,” he said. It remains to be seen as to whether or not Tfue will respond to these claims, but it seems as if more and more fitness gurus are skeptical.

Laina Morris, known for her disconcerting stare used to crack jokes about obsessive partners, announced that she was permanently leaving YouTube after nine years on the platform, as stated in a video uploaded on July 24. In her video, titled “Breaking Up with You…Tube,” Morris explained that uncertainty about her career and stress over making videos contributed to her growing depression and anxiety, which ultimately saw her leave the platform for good. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B0ea8r0gIfd/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“…I’d sort of landed myself in a real deep depression,” Morris said. “And I was keeping it a real deep secret from everyone around me. While Marzia’s own reasons for leaving the platform stemmed from “following someone else’s path,” Morris’ video acts as an important PSA to creators dealing with the stress of making content – a popular phenomenon known as “creator burnout,” which has seen such creators as Lilly Singh and others take notable breaks from making videos.

YouTuber parents under fire for vlogging child’s school report card Daily Bumps, YouTubeFamily-oriented YouTubers and parents “Daily Bumps” are receiving a wave of backlash online, after uploading a video reacting to their son Oliver’s school report card. Family channels are the new wave on YouTube, with many groups, such as the “ACE Family,” boasting millions of subscribers for giving viewers an inside look at their daily lives. The Lannings, known by their online moniker “Daily Bumps,” are one such family channel, having amassed over 4.96 million subscribers thanks to their videos and original music. However, it’s not Lanning family patriarch Bryan’s new four-song EP that’s sparking outrage over the family: instead, internet users are collectively mocking a video the group uploaded on January 29, which included a reaction to their oldest son Oliver’s report card. The video in question, since retitled “LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL!” features mother Missy Lanning reading Oliver’s grades aloud, which included scores for his behavior with other students as well as projects in the classroom. (Segment begins at 6:10 for mobile readers) https://youtu.be/G9_ET1U_dmE?t=370 While the vast majority of Oliver’s grades were positive, the video has since gone viral across Twitter, with users noting the ridiculousness of using a child’s grades for content that will be viewed online by millions. “Imagine coming home with your report card and your parents do a react video,” reporter Taylor Lorenz said of the upload. https://twitter.com/TaylorLorenz/status/1222557858576916484?s=20 Her Tweet caught fire across the social media platform, with other commenters weighing in with such takes as, “Oliver’s parents might want to consider the videos Oliver will be recording about them when he’s a teenager.” …Oliver’s parents might want to consider the videos Oliver will be recording about them when he’s a teenager… — Mark Vang (@chmod777Mark) January 29, 2020 Still others were concerned about the mental impact this could have on family vloggers’ children in the future, with one user writing, “Imagine the damage we’re doing to our children by parading them all over the internet without their consent. Opinions aside, the issue raises a unique dilemma: how will vloggers’ children react to being constantly filmed and recorded in the near future?

  • YouTuber Onision banned from Twitch following abuse allegations – Dexerto

YouTuber Onision banned from Twitch following abuse allegations YouTube: OnisionYouTuber and internet personality Gregory ‘Onision’ Jackson has had his Twitch account banned, following his ban from Patreon in late 2019. The YouTuber, who previously had over 2 million subscribers on his channel until controversy struck in late 2019, sending his sub count to just over 1.5 million, has faced allegations of abuse and child grooming. In November 2019, Jackson’s Patreon account was banned for doxing, after he posted the phone number of fellow YouTuber Billie Dawn Webb, who had accused Onision of manipulating her into a relationship. On January 15, Onision’s partnered Twitch channel was also banned, despite not having streamed for almost two weeks. In fact, he had barely used or promoted his Twitch channel, only broadcasting sporadically, and most of the time to less than 20 concurrent viewers, according to statistics from SullyGnome. He only had around 29,000 followers on the platform, despite his popularity on YouTube, and had streamed only League of Legends or in the ‘Just Chatting’ Section. ❌ Twitch Partner “”Onision”” has been banned! ❌https://t.co/TBo8zXM4Eo#twitch #ban #firstban #partner #twitchpartner 👨🏼🚀 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) January 15, 2020 It’s unknown what rule Twitch terminated his account for, or if the ban is permanent. Jackson himself has not spoken out on the ban. Who is Onision? A YouTuber since 2006, Onision rose to popularity on the platform with various skits and satire, and also has a popular second channel, UhOhBro, where he uploads more personal videos. His videos earned him the title of “most controversial YouTuber” way back in 2010, but things took a more sinister turn in recent years. In 2019, a video surfaced of Jackson with an ex-girlfriend, Shiloh Hoganson, in which he is heard saying “You know this video is never going to be online, right? No one will ever know how much I abuse you.” Throughout the latter half of 2019, several women accused Jackson and his spouse, Kai Averoe, of abuse and harassment. On October 30, 2019, Chris Hansen announced that he and the FBI were investigating allegations of child grooming against Onision, speaking with one of the alleged victims, Sarah. When Hansen arrived at Onision’s door to speak with him in January, the YouTuber called 911 and reported Hansen as a “stalker”. In an interview with Hansen, Hoganson claimed that she was treated as a “slave” by Jackson, and that the trauma had resulted in her having seizures. There have also been calls for YouTube to take action and ban him from the website. https://twitter.com/patient47245143/status/1202311309930332160 Twitch may have banned Onision for his actions on other platforms, as its community guidelines state: “We may take action against users for hateful conduct or harassment that occurs off Twitch services that is directed at Twitch users.”

Then once they get confused, they may even be close to blacking out, but their friends are giving them more and more shots because their friends may have impaired judgment.” The clip goes on to say that you could even lose consciousness eventually, which appears to be what happened to Blade in this unfortunate situation. This isn’t the first time Blade has been under fire Passing out on his porch actually isn’t the worst thing we’ve seen from Blade. He is certainly no stranger to controversy like this as back in April he was caught on video throwing a dog while drunk, something that immediately upset other people in the room. “That’s your fucking dog dude,” a voice off-screen said. “You can’t fucking throw a dog. What are you talking about dude? Don’t fucking do that, that’s not cool.” It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Blade after this and if YouTube will have any discipline for him.

  • YouTuber Onision banned from Patreon after alleged doxxing – Dexerto

YouTuber Onision banned from Patreon after alleged doxxing Gregory ‘Onision’ Jackson has been banned from crowdfunding membership site Patreon after allegedly doxxing a fellowing YouTuber on Twitter. On Sunday, November 24, Onision tweeted out screenshots of private messages allegedly between himself and Billie Dawn Webb, who recently appeared on Chris Hansen’s YouTube channel claiming he had harassed her. According to reports, one of those screenshots include Webb’s full telephone number, prompting Patreon to disable his account which had over 500 patrons, no longer allowing him to receive monetary support from his audience on the platform. In a statement to The Verge, a Patreon spokesperson confirmed that Onisions actions constituted doxxing, which was a direct violation of the company’s bullying and harrassment rules, leading to his removal from the site, even though the images weren’t posted on the platform. The company has a strict “no doxxing” policy no matter where the action takes place, explaining that they don’t allow “Patreon to fund the practice of doxxing,” and that any creator caught in the act of doxxing may be banned. “Simply put, doxxing is a way that people try to hurt each other on the internet,” a blog post from the company reads. “In those rare circumstances that a Patreon creator participates in doxxing, we take a strong stance against it because we know the potential harm it causes.” Twitter have yet to ban the YouTuber, stating that the screenshots do not violate their terms of service, but any that includes a phone number would be grounds for punishment if they were reported to them. When reached for comment by The Verge, Onision said that the screenshots were taken from a relationship he had with Webb in 2016 to express how sad he was that it didn’t work out, and was confused as to why he was punished by Patreon.

  • YouTuber offers $10K reward after podcast host Tim Pool swatted 5 times in 2022 – Dexerto

YouTuber offers $10K reward after podcast host Tim Pool swatted 5 times in 2022 YouTube/Instagram/TimcastYouTuber ‘The Quartering’ is putting up a massive $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or group responsible for a series of swattings involving podcast host Tim Pool. 2022 has been a crazy year so far, but for Timcast host Tim Pool, it’s been a dangerous one, to say the least. So far, Pool has had to deal with five separate swatting incidents with armed police showing up to his studio and now even his own personal home. With the dangers appearing to escalate, fellow YouTuber TheQuartering is stepping up to help his friend by putting some money on the line in hopes of finding whoever is responsible. https://twitter.com/Timcast/status/1498821204953677824 Tim Pool swatted five times in 2022 The podcast host was first swatted back in January, as police were called to his studio after reports of an active shooter on the property. On January 18, he was swatted once again with Pool even claiming the second time was “worse” than the previous, though he didn’t give many details due to a possible security risk. In the weeks that followed, the podcast was hit multiple times with the incidents escalating to new levels on March 1 when both the studio and Pool’s personal home were targeted. https://twitter.com/Timcast/status/1499013492078264323 “Last night we got swatted twice. But there was a third incident that i dont think counts as a swatting.” he revealed on Twitter. “Someone called in a gas leak which resulted in the fire department and medical gearing up. Fortunately, the cops already knew this was bogus and prevented dispatch.” With all this madness, TheQuartering is putting up $10,000 of his own money to anyone who has information that will lead to the arrest of those committing these dangerous acts. I am offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of the person/group behind swatting Tim Pool. TheQuartering at Gmail. Identity will be kept anonymous. — TheQuartering (@TheQuartering) March 1, 2022 Swatting is a very serious problem in online communities such as Twitch and YouTube where law enforcement are sent to a streamer’s house under the impression that there is an emergency such as a hostage situation. Notably, in 2017, a Call of Duty player was killed by police after a rival organized for authorities to be called, claiming that there was a violent dispute going on at his house.

  • YouTuber Niko Omilana opens fake Starbucks to troll customers – Dexerto

YouTuber Niko Omilana opens fake Starbucks to troll customers YouTube: Niko OmilanaYouTuber Niko Omilana launched his own fake Starbucks drive-through to troll customers after he was kicked by a disgruntled prank victim in his last video related to the coffee chain. Niko is a content creator with over three million subscribers on YouTube, and he’s well-known for his chaotic pranks on strangers, friends, and often big companies. His past videos have seen him selling giant food on Uber Eats, becoming a fake employee in the Apple Store, and even opening his own fake McDonalds. In November 2020, he made a video in which he pretended to be a Starbucks employee, and in one daring move, he even told a drive-through customer to roll their window back up because of his bad breath. However, things took an unexpected turn when the prank victim got out of the car, kicked Niko in the back, and smashed his phone on the ground. Now, in revenge on Starbucks for not ‘making it right,’ Niko and his team set up their very own fake Starbucks drive-through, calling it ‘Starschmucks.’ They revamped a car wash with specially made logos, and got to work trying to bring in as many customers as they could to the fake outlet. The team took delight in messing with the people who drove by, telling some to look into a ‘human verification’ camera, pretended they didn’t speak English, and took liberty in ‘banning’ people who confused Starschmucks with Starbucks. Niko even tempted fate by telling some customers that their breath smelled bad, but thankfully the customers took the prank well, and no one felt the need to get out of their car and fly-kick anyone involved. The team also did their fair share of good deeds for the day, giving out plenty of free hot chocolate by the time the prank was over. The video was certainly a chaotic one, and although not everyone had the drive-through experience they expected, they generally looked happy to be involved in the bizarre video.

  • YouTuber Niko Omilana explains why him running for London Mayor is more than a meme – Dexerto

YouTuber Niko Omilana explains why him running for London Mayor is more than a meme Instagram: Niko OmilanaPopular YouTuber Niko Omilana is running for London Mayor, hoping to secure as many votes as possible on May 6. This is the first year that not only one, but two YouTubers have got their hats in the ring. Niko Omilana has more than 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube and is well known for his comedic skits and prank videos. Notably, he snuck into the Logan Paul vs KSI boxing match in 2018 and even their rematch, but he was banned from any future matches by DAZN and Matchroom boxing. Since he’s known for not taking anything too seriously, it came as a surprise to many that he is genuinely running for Mayor of London, as well as fellow YouTuber Max Fosh. Incredibly, Niko currently has a 5% backing in the polls and is the second choice for voters between ages 18 to 24, just beaten by Sadiq Khan. How did a YouTuber find his way into politics? Niko spoke to Dexerto about his campaign and his plans for the future. Niko claims he wasn’t taken seriously at all at first by the UK media, and in one video, he documented his push to get an interview with the BBC and to be treated equally to the other candidates. Eventually, he managed to secure a spot in front of BBC cameras but was still left out of televised debates. “I think it’s outrageous how ITV haven’t interviewed me,” he said, “they’re interviewing people polling only 1% higher than me.” Niko maintains that he’s working hard to get his voice heard, attempting to brush off his reputation as a YouTube comedian: “I’m not a prankster I’m a politician. If I was a YouTube prankster then maybe I’d have pranks or something set up, but no. It’s just polished politician-type stuff… We’re taking this campaign extremely seriously.” Despite apparent erasure from mainstream media, Niko is determined to gather up big-name supporters. Naturally, his co-creators Sharkey, Chunkz, and AJ Shabeel and even the Sidemen are all backing him as he aims to “bring it home for YouTube.” Niko claims to have the support of Kanye West, Barack Obama, and even the late Tupac and Mohammad Ali, adding “they have all told me personally,” although this could not be confirmed. He even tweeted Dua Lipa who publicly expressed her support for Sadiq Khan, and managed to ratio her 90k likes over 23k likes. “I’m sure she’s nursing her wounds,” he said. world famous pop stars taking L’s, you love to see it pic.twitter.com/DoGqAlRPIt — NDL Ringside (@NikoOmilana) April 15, 2021 As for his popularity, he said, “I did expect it. I believe that there isn’t a greater leader in this nation than me,” before adding that losing “is a completely unrealistic scenario which I haven’t given much thought to, because it’s impossible.” The 23-year-old believes this is partly down to his ability to represent young people as a young YouTuber who is making noise, stating “young people need to be listened to,” while in turn encouraging as many young people to register to vote as possible. What are Niko Omilana’s policies? Aside from that core message, the YouTuber laid out his other policies in a manifesto released on Twitter at 4:20 pm on April 27. It includes points such as “Boris Johnson will be forced to shush,” “All racists will have their teeth removed,” and “Raise the minimum wage by 6.9%.” MY FULL MANIFESTO #NikoForMayor pic.twitter.com/6OE9qmugd6 — NDL Ringside (@NikoOmilana) April 27, 2021 He demonstrated one of his points by driving a London bus turned “Five-star restaurant” around the city which he calls “Stop and Serve,” something he wants to introduce as Mayor which he says will include free school meals. Even if he does fail to become Mayor of London this time around, Niko seems determined as ever, stating that he will be back again to run in four years’ time. One thing is for certain — people are taking notice. You can find all the other candidates for the London Mayoral elections on the London Elects website.

  • YouTuber Niko Omilana opens fake McDonalds in elaborate prank – Dexerto

YouTuber Niko Omilana opens fake McDonalds in elaborate prank YouTube: Niko OmilanaYouTuber Niko Omilana has made a video in which he set out to open his own fake McDonalds with its own menu, that had people flocking to collect their free “Not McDonalds” meal. Niko, who’s channel has over 2 million subscribers, is known for his prank style content including his “fake employee pranks” where he pretends to work at large companies such as the likes of Apple, Target, and Subway. But this isn’t the first time he’s attempted to get involved with McDonalds. On August 28 he uploaded one of his fake employee videos, where he caused mischief by messing with customers as he took their order, earning him a substantial number of angry customers. Since his attempt to become a real employee at McDonalds was unsuccessful, Niko took it upon himself to open his very own fake version of the huge fast-food chain. They paired up with a very recently launched family-owned business “Andy’s Bangin Burgers” as a way of gaining their premises, and giving Andy’s some much-appreciated publicity. Niko bought all of the food the business had in stock, and agreed to pay their staff’s wages for the whole day. By buying some genuine McDonalds packaging (and editing it a bit to fit their off-brand fast-food chain,) they got to work giving the food away for free to visitors to the now rebranded shop front – “Not McDonalds.” While the day started off slow, the customers quickly started to increase in number, with people eventually lining the streets to check out what the fuss was all about, and get their hands on some free food. He even eventually hired another employee for the day when he came to the store asking for a job. As posts started popping up on social media, even more customers started to pour in, and it wasn’t long before all that local produce had been handed out to curious people. With all the food gone, they wrapped up a successful day redirecting customers from a huge chain to a small local business, causing a stir on social media in the process. Now he knows it works, it’ll be interesting to see how his pranking of huge chain companies escalates in the future.

  • YouTuber NikkieTutorials reveals she’s transgender after alleged blackmail – Dexerto

YouTuber NikkieTutorials reveals she’s transgender after alleged blackmail Cosmetics master and YouTube star Nikkie de Jager, better known as ‘NikkieTutorials,’ shocked the makeup world on January 13 by revealing she is transgender. “Planet earth is full with labels and I never felt comfortable with labels. I wanted to be my own person, my own identity, my own human being without any rules, without any labels, without any restrictions,” she said. The “Power of Makeup” guru took back her own power after people were threatening to expose her to the press, according to de Jager. Instead, she took the initiative by stepping out of her comfort zone to take control of her story. Growing up through the lens of YouTube, de Jager revealed that while she identified as a girl by the age of six, her transition came later and at 14 she had to use “growth stoppers” due to her rapid growth. By the time she was 19, she completed her transition while broadcasting on YouTube. Nikkie’s story is as unique as she is, with her YouTube audience literally seeing her journey unfold as she completed her transition into a woman and later a boss lady all through her videos. “I transitioned while on YouTube,” de Jager said. “Saying that right now sounds so crazy to me because I have literally grown up and transformed into me in front of all of you.” In telling her story, the YouTube star touched on her current affairs on those she loves, thanking her mother, family, and friends for the support that they have shown for her transition and life in her past. Though not everyone in her life has been as kind, de Jager dedicated time in the closing portions of her coming out video to address her blackmailers. “I’ve always wanted to share this side of my story,” she said. “I just always wanted to do that under my conditions but apparently we live in a world where other people hate on people that are truly themselves.” She talked about the “evil” people who blackmailed her and threatened to leak the story. Instead of giving in, she told them “I’m not scared” in response to their attempted blackmail. Nikkie offered her love and advice to anyone else going through their transitions, and her community has already been pouring in with tons of support following the announcement.

  • YouTuber Nick Bean addresses outrage over viral Bryce Hall fight video – Dexerto

YouTuber Nick Bean addresses outrage over viral Bryce Hall fight video YouTube: Nick BeanTikTok star Bryce Hall caught major flak online after uploading a video of himself attempting to break up a fight between his buddies and a bystander — and one of the parties involved has issued a significant statement on the throwdown. Hall shocked his fanbase after sharing the video on October 4 (which had originally been filmed on September 23), seeming to insinuate that the brawl was the responsibility of the opposing party. Captioning the video, “We don’t condone violence, but if you punch someone in front of us, we’ll have no choice but to defend ourselves,” it wasn’t long before the TikToker became the center of internet backlash; but what really happened? According to TMZ, the altercation took place outside of ‘Mel’s Diner’ in California, and occurred after YouTuber and Sway House member Nick Bean had been hit in the face by the bystander. https://twitter.com/BryceHall/status/1312983988508655617?s=20 However, everyone appeared to make up (and even exchanged a hug), and no charges were filed — but the group is getting serious heat due to a certain homophobic slur being thrown around in the video, as well as for the altercation, itself. Nick Bean took to Instagram to explain his side of the story shortly after the video went viral, claiming that he had been “belligerently drunk” at the time and had thrown a traffic cone over the bystander’s car around 2 AM. https://www.instagram.com/p/CF-glZ6H9s-/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The bystander’s girlfriend, who had been in the car without Bean’s knowledge, allegedly got upset with him for doing this, causing a heated standoff between the two parties. The boyfriend then exited the vehicle and purportedly called bean a homophobic slur, after which he allegedly punched the YouTuber three times. “I’m pretty sure he knocked me out, to be honest,” Bean said of the incident. “I don’t really remember much. I was definitely drunk, but then it just got really weird.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CF-hHkLHxyd/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Claiming that he’d passed out, Bean said he then woke up to find his friend group attacking the bystander, and had used a homophobic slur himself in retaliation to the man’s earlier insults. “I do understand that you can hear someone sayin’ f** throughout the video,” he continued. “But I’m pretty sure he was saying s**t back to us, but just for the record, I’m tellin’ you guys the story, because I don’t want anyone else to get accused of sayin’ this.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CF-hjk4nI0h/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link His statement also follows outrage that sparked after many felt he was performing a racist gesture during a recent appearance in Bryce Hall’s Instagram story. Bean’s version of events concerning the September brawl has been met with mixed reviews among his viewers, but for now, it seems the video is still a hot-button issue among the TikTok userbase.

  • YouTuber Nikki Limo confused after being demonetized for bizarre reason – Dexerto

YouTuber Nikki Limo confused after being demonetized for bizarre reason Popular content creator Nikki Limo was shocked after learning that she had been demonetized on YouTube, apparently because of her content featuring ‘firearms’, despite being a cooking channel. Nikki Limo has built a considerable following of over 580,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel for her vlogs and podcast series. The popular YouTuber has been uploading videos for many years, however, she was left surprised after discovering why her channel had been demonetized on January 4. Nikko revealed that she had received a notification from YouTube explaining that her channel was demonetized due to a “significant portion” of her videos being based around firearms. The content creator explained her confusion to her fans regarding the demonetization, suggesting that it was likely a mistake on YouTube’s end. “YouTube demonetized my channel because “a significant portion” of my content has to do with firearms?” she began to question, clearly confused by the ruling on her channel. Just found out @YouTube demonetized my channel because “”a significant portion”” of my content has to do with firearms..???? I don’t know anything about firearms! I AM SO CONFUSED. 😨 Like, I literally make cooking videos. pic.twitter.com/JaF0fwLwPq — Nikki Limo (@NikkiLimo) January 4, 2020 “I don’t know anything about firearms!” She admitted, explaining that none of her videos are based around firearms, “I am so confused, I literally make cooking videos.” The YouTuber later highlighted that she had also been given a guide to the policies on content featuring firearms, saying. “It actually thinks I teach how to build guns…” I’m flattered because it makes me seem hella badass, but also WTF. — Nikki Limo (@NikkiLimo) January 4, 2020 Some had suggested that perhaps the use of knives in the kitchen, used for preparing meals, was perhaps why the content had been flagged. But, the message sent from YouTube clearly addressed guns. However, Nikki also shared that although she was seemingly punished for nothing, she still explained that it made her seem ‘badass’: “I’m flattered because it makes me seem hella badass, but also WTF.” As of the time of writing, it appears as if Limo’s channel is still demonetized and it is unknown if YouTube plans on reversing their ruling against the content creator.

  • YouTuber More Plates More Dates calls out Logan Paul’s PRIME Hydration marketing – Dexerto

YouTuber More Plates More Dates calls out Logan Paul’s PRIME Hydration marketing Self-improvement YouTuber ‘More Plates More Dates’ has called out Logan Paul and his marketing methods for PRIME Hydration. KSI’s and Logan Paul’s PRIME Hydration has become immensely popular since its launch in early 2022, with the two YouTube stars experiencing overwhelming demand for the drink from their fans. In fact, it’s still almost impossible for you to get your hands on the hydration drink in the UK, selling out almost instantly every time it’s put on the shelves. There’s no doubt the two former boxing rivals have done a splendid job of promoting PRIME. But, Derek from the YouTube channel More Plates More Dates has a bit of criticism. More Plates More Dates slams Logan Paul’s PRIME marketing In an October 11 video, the self-improvement YouTuber had a few words for Logan, who’s been very outspoken on how great PRIME is compared to its competitors. But, he isn’t exactly painting the whole picture while going after the likes of Gatorade and Liquid IV. While Logan notes the difference in sugar, carbs, calories and electrolytes — in which PRIME seemingly beats them all — More Plates More Dates claims he’s misrepresenting their purpose. “He very much represents this sort of blanket statement where sugar is bad, calories are bad and stratifying electrolytes,” he said. “Instead of doing that, rather he lumps them all together as like electrolytes cumulatively, but doesn’t mention what is actually in it.” “There are different circumstances in which you’d want one or the other, to be frank,” Derek added. “When he lumps them together as if it is an electrolyte is an electrolyte, it’s like do you know the composition of sweat that even comes out of your f**king face when you’re exercising bro? I don’t think so. I think you think all this sh*t is the same. He continued: “For you to go at Liquid IV, ready to like chop their head off, when you don’t even know the what the difference is and why it would be useful to maybe have some sodium in there is actually kind of laughable, to be honest.” More Plates More Dates pointed out how PRIME uses sucralose, an artificial sweetener that makes the drink taste good while keeping low sugar, adding that the purpose is an enjoyable daily drink — “not a performance-based athlete-focused electrolyte blend.” Regardless, PRIME has still shaken up the hydration formula market. With Logan’s eyes set on a billion dollar evaluation, it’s likely that it won’t take long for the two YouTubers to get there.

  • YouTuber mortified after telling one-armed girl to stick both hands up – Dexerto

YouTuber mortified after telling one-armed girl to stick both hands up YouTube and TikTok star Tyler Funke was left absolutely mortified after telling a girl on Omegle to “put [both] her hands up” – without realizing that she only actually had one arm. Tyler became popular with a variety of comedy and music videos on Tik Tok, amassing almost one million followers on the video platform. He has used this to help propel his online reach, including a YouTube channel that now has over 108,000 subscribers, with most of his videos being highlights of chats he has on online video chat website Omegle. Though he gets a lot of views from these Omegle videos, he got a little more than he bargained for during one chat. Funke encountered a fan on Omegle on January 1, who immediately started saying “oh my god,” clearly in disbelief that she is in a call with one of her idols. As a joke, he makes a gun with his fingers and points them at her, saying “you’re under arrest, put your hands up!” She smiles and puts her arm in the air, to which Funke in faux-anger says “both of them!” After a moment of deliberation from his fan, she moved her right side towards the screen to show the arm she didn’t have and said “I don’t have another arm,” laughing in the process. https://twitter.com/TylerFunke/status/1212602407982641152 Immediately, Funke looks absolutely horrified at the situation, unable to believe the chances that this would actually happen. Covering his mouth and saying “oh my god,” Funke quickly closed out of the chat, clearly at a loss as to how to react to the situation that he had put himself in. All he could muster was to say “What are the odds,” exclaiming his disbelief that such a situation would occur. It’s not known who the fan on Omegle is, but she seemed in good spirits during the incident, laughing about it and taking it in good faith. In fact, she seemed to take it a lot better than Tyler Funke did.

That includes dropshipping, with people ordering items from websites like AliExpress for cheap and selling them for a profit. YouTuber Sebastian Ghiorghiu recently found himself under fire after a clip of him went viral on another creator’s TikTok page claiming everyone in their 20s should have a Lamborghini. • YouTuber Max Fosh steals KSI and MrBeast’s DNA to make cheese – Dexerto

YouTuber Max Fosh steals KSI and MrBeast’s DNA to make cheese YouTube: Max FoshYouTuber Max Fosh has “done it again,” secretly stealing KSI and MrBeast’s DNA to determine which creator’s bacteria makes a tastier cheese. Comedy YouTuber Max Fosh has made the first-ever “YouTuber battle of the cheeses” after secretly stealing his fellow content creator’s DNA and using their bacteria to make cheese. The bizarre plan went into action at the Sidemen charity match, a game that featured many YouTube stars such as ‘KSI’, ‘Miniminter‘, ‘Mrbeast’, ‘IShowSpeed‘, and Kai Cenat. With his target’s insight, Fosh was able to swab both KSI and MrBeast by casually approaching them after the game. Oblivious to his true intentions, neither YouTuber noticed that Fosh had a far more unusual objective than friendly comradery. Using the winning trophy celebration after the game as a “smoke screen”, Fosh then transferred his acquired DNA samples into Petri dishes. The next stage involved traveling to Suffolk and meeting up with a “helpful cheese maker friend” who could use the bacteria to make some “safe” YouTuber cheeses. Two weeks later, the products were delivered to Fosh’s door and were ready for a taste test to be performed by “legendary food critic” Mathew Fort. Trying KSI’s first, Fort called it a “Cheese of character.” MrBeast’s was “easier to eat” and a more “sophisticated” cheese, but ultimately Fort chose KSI as the winner. To conclude his bizarre venture, Fosh called KSI to inform the YouTuber of his victory. Amused, KSI said, “You sick, twisted individual,” laughing at the clip of Fosh swabbing him at the game. With the cheeses now headed “straight in the f****** bin”, it’s safe to say KSI and MrBeast-made products are unlikely to hit shelves anytime soon. YouTuber Melonie Mac faces backlash for homophobic Tweets Instagram: meloniemacContent creator and YouTube star Melonie Mac has knowingly stirred the pot, posting homophobic slurs on Twitter while seemingly encouraging the backlash. With over 330,000 subscribers on her gaming account and a further 145,000 on a broader second channel, YouTuber Melonie Mac is a self-described social commentator known for posting gaming, anime, and tech-related content. A devout Christian, Melonie hasn’t shied away from making homophobic comments in the past. She previously compared being gay to playing in traffic, stating “it goes against nature”. Now, the YouTuber is once again angering fans online, this time by posting homophobic slurs to her Twitter account. Melonie’s Twitter saga began on June 19 after she retweeted a post about streamer xQc’s rise to fame. Posted by the account ‘YourFellowArab’, the original Tweet mentions xQc calling someone a homophobic slur when the streamer first started out. “Remember that next time you think getting canceled is real,” Arab said, referencing xQc’s historic $100 million deal with Kick from earlier this week. Melonie shared the tweet, captioning it with a repetition of xQc’s previously used slur. She then followed up with another tweet saying “I’m going to bed, if I get banned tomorrow just follow me on [Instagram]. [You only live once]. Goodnight f***.” Seemingly unbothered by the backlash, the YouTuber has since been called out for her homophobic posts. Nel, The Internet’s dad, who goes by the Twitter handle ‘Nelstar15’, shared that he would be removing any mutuals who followed the controversial YouTuber. Other Twitter users were equally critical with the Tweets, with one posting, “Can’t remember the last time I saw someone go this hard off the deep end.” Another shared, “She blocked me for politely pointing out where the Bible doesn’t endorse being a loudmouth j*** to [people].” Discussing the LGBTQ+ community on a live stream, Melonie has previously stated “It’s a contagion. It is spreading, and its indoctrinating children,” For all the latest entertainment news, be sure to check out our page here.

  • YouTuber Mark Goldbridge claps back at Astrid Wett with savage “crabs” one liner – Dexerto

YouTuber Mark Goldbridge claps back at Astrid Wett with savage “crabs” one liner Instagram: Astrid Wett/Mark GoldbridgeFootball Youtuber Mark Goldbridge has hit back at OnlyFans model Astrid Wett after she said she’d “pass” him in a recent video. OnlyFans model Astrid Wett recently went viral for releasing a video on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) in which she proceeded to play “Football Twitter smash or pass.” The influencer went through multiple football-focused TV presenters and podcast hosts, stating whether or not she would “smash or pass” them. One such figure that appeared throughout her video was Mark Goldbridge, best known for his videos and livestreams on the Manchester United-based fan channel The United Stand. “Mark Goldbridge. I think he is old enough to be my dad and he also called my favorite Chelsea player a step ladder so I think it’s going to have to be a pass, sorry Mark.” Wett’s video has garnered major attention on the social media platform, with many X users sharing their thoughts in the comments section of the video as well as tagging those mentioned to respond to Wett’s ratings. In light of this, Goldbridge decided to clap back at Wett during the most recent installment of the That’s Football livestream. While live-reacting to the Bayern Munich versus Lazlo game, Goldbridge took a moment during the opening minutes of the match to call out Wett for her Twitter video. Based on his reaction, it’s safe to say that the football commentator was not too pleased with the OnlyFans model choosing to “pass” him. “I watched it and there’s me and she said something like, he’s old enough to be my dad so it’s a pass. Can I just say, you’re not the only person making a choice on this. “I’m happily married, you can pass, I’m doing more than pass. If I wanted crabs I’d go to Morrison’s fish section. No thanks, never, ever, ever, ever and I wouldn’t pay for it either.” Time will tell if Astrid Wett decides to clap back further. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if there are any new developments to this story.

  • Matthew Santoro reveals how theives robbed everything he owned – Dexerto

Matthew Santoro reveals how theives robbed everything he owned YouTube: Matthew Santoro[jwplayer mgzBNoPb] YouTube star Matthew Santoro shocked his viewers with a sobering video on July 27, in which he admitted that all of his belongings — besides what he was able to fit in a suitcase — had been stolen from the trailer of a moving truck. UPDATE 8-4-2020: In a happy turn of events, Santoro revealed in a July 30 video that the trailer containing his belongings has been located, although the shipping company is unsure if anything has been stolen from the trailer at the time of writing. Original story below. Santoro boasts a fairly large presence on YouTube, where he has garnered over six million subscribers due to his “listicle” videos, in which he breaks down topics like “50 amazing facts” or “10 banned YouTube channels.” However, his most recent upload took a sharp turn from his usual repertoire of content, with the influencer announcing that all of his belongings had been stolen during his move from Los Angeles to Toronto, Canada. According to the YouTuber, the trailer that housed his things had been stolen from the truck of the moving company he’d hired. https://www.instagram.com/p/CCt6plqJ2hf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “Every single thing I have in this world is gone,” Santoro explained. “The only stuff I have left is what I was able to bring with me in a single suitcase back to Toronto.” Aside from a few shirts, a single pair of shoes, toiletries, his computer, and camera, the YouTuber has nothing — and what’s worse is that some of what was stolen are irreplaceable. “It’s not the fact I have nothing left,” he said in a Tweet about the theft. “It’s that some things can’t be replaced. Family pictures of my Nona who passed. My YouTube plaques from 2014. All the raw footage from my old videos. None of it can be replaced.” https://twitter.com/MatthewSantoro/status/1287856955453853697?s=20 Despite his harrowing circumstances, Santoro claimed he was most upset that his cats’ beds had been taken in the mix, and attempted to mitigate the loss by recognizing that “it’s just stuff” and “at least [I] have my health.” He likewise claimed that he felt the moving company was a bit shady from the outset, claiming that they’d tried to overcharge him, among other offenses. But, for the sake of potential legal action, he declined to name the company in question or speak more on his experiences with them. Thus far, the YouTuber has been met with an outpouring of support from fans after this terrible theft has left him “in shock” and without any of the things he’d hope to move into his new home.

It’s not unheard of for a performer to develop a strong online presence after appearing on a TV talent show like AGT, but sometimes there are creators who are already hugely popular online who choose to take the stage on one of these shows. Madilyn Bailey fits in with the latter. She started posting covers to YouTube around 11 years ago, and since then she has managed to accumulate over 8 million subscribers thanks to her stunning voice. MrBeast himself even commented, “Now can you build it and send it to me?” That was all it took for Daniel and his team to get to work actually bringing the intricate design to life – though the process certainly wasn’t easy. After months of hard work, the final product was absolutely stunning. The creation was made out of a mix of gold, titanium, and other materials, with the eye being made out of the oldest meteorite ever recorded. Daniel revealed that the video, “took 3 months and about $15,000 to make.” Topic starts at 10:47 They even delivered the masterpiece to MrBeast in person, and the YouTuber star looked super impressed with the 100lb play button. Daniel and his team did an incredible job on crafting this piece, the hard work being well worth it in the end.

  • YouTuber leaks full Matrix 4 Resurrections plot and ending spoilers – Dexerto

YouTuber leaks full Matrix 4 Resurrections plot and ending spoilers YouTubeA YouTuber with a credible track record of leaks has claimed to have revealed the entire plot of The Matrix 4 and it’s quite divisive to say the least. WorldofGeekdom, better known as the Dragon Ball YouTuber Geekdom101, had previously correctly revealed the plots for Godzilla vs Kong and Snake Eyes and has built himself up as having insider info. Now, the YouTuber has allegedly gotten his hands on the entire plot of The Matrix 4, claiming that he has a source who has seen the entire movie. It seems to be legitimate too, as YouTube deleted the video after a copyright claim by Warner Bros. Many people were surprised when the Wachowski siblings announced that they were working on a fourth installment in The Matrix franchise, especially with the original trilogy wrapping things up. Of course, if you don’t want to be spoiled for a movie coming out in December, stop reading. Or if you want to take your chances on the information being accurate or not, go ahead and continue. Spoilers ahead! According to Geekdom, The Matrix has been updated since the last film and takes place 60 years after Revolutions. There are loads of self-referential jokes about movie reboots and this in itself is a bit of a soft reboot to the series. The film begins very similarly to the first movie with Agents chasing down a character called “Bugs” played by Jessica Henrick. Apparently, Morpheus is now an Agent played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen, but is a “bootleg copy” of the original Morpheus who is now dead. When Neo updated The Matrix, he created this copy of Morpheus. Neil Patrick Harris plays a villain called The Analyst and is also Neo’s therapist. Basically, Neo is alive and has flashbacks to the events of the other films while forgetting who he actually is. The plot essentially is about Neo trying to reconnect with Trinity, who is still alive, and become “The One” once more. In a twist at the very end, it’s revealed that Trinity has powers of The One, and the two work together in a “visually amazing” fight. Warner Bros is mad that I got the LEGIT Matrix 4 plot leak, so they took my video down. Problem is, it violates NO Copyright. WB abusing the Youtube system again. pic.twitter.com/oDDkBbXuJB — Geekdom101 (@EmperorBigD) June 18, 2021 Geekdom went more in-depth detail in his video, but it’s clear that there are some parts of this movie that will be controversial and some elements that supposedly contain “lazy writing.” It will be interesting to see how much of this ends up being accurate or if anything changes before the film is released in theaters on December 22.

LeafyIsHere is known for being one of the most controversial content creators on social media. After being banned from the likes of YouTube and other platforms, Leafy has seemingly been allowed back on Twitter, posting for the first time in almost over a year. Before his new tweets, Leafy was last active on Twitter in May 2022. However, the content creator announced his return in April 2023, tweeting out “thank f**k for Elon Musk lol.” Since this initial tweet, LeafyIsHere has gone on to post a series of other comments, images as well as replying to other users cheering him on for being back on Twitter. Time will tell what this return means. With so many streamers making the jump to Kick, this could even mean that he will be one of the big names who have been rumored to be making the transition over to the platform. YouTuber LeafyIsHere saw his account removed in 2020 after uploading a series of videos mocking Twitch star Pokimane. He made a brief appearance in January 2022 with a new podcast, but YouTube quickly removed that channel for violating the Terms of Service. The content creator was also banned from Twitch back in 2020. Over a year after the indefinite suspension, Leafy return to YouTube on January 7, 2022, with a new podcast. • YouTuber leaks ending of Godzilla vs Kong – Dexerto

YouTuber leaks ending of Godzilla vs Kong Legendary PicturesWith the hype for the new Godzilla vs. Kong movie steadily building more than a month before release, a YouTuber has apparently obtained and leaked the ending to the plot in a new video. When it comes to city-destroying monsters, Godzilla and King Kong are definitely two of the biggest names out there – both literally and figuratively. The famous pair have faced off once before, in the classic Japanese kaiju film King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), and will be fighting once again come March 31, 2021, when the new Godzilla vs. Kong releases. A new trailer from Jan. 24 definitely got the hype train going, with the movie trending on Twitter soon after it premiered. It definitely looks like a good time – but this is 2021, and we’re on the internet here, so it was bound to just be a matter of time before spoilers started leaking out. Godzilla vs. Kong isn’t a remake of the original 60’s flick of the same idea, so we can’t just look back and see who wins in the end or how things will play out based on that, alone. While a true remake might be interesting, a whole new movie does the leave possibility open for something new and exciting to happen plot-wise. If you don’t want to wait until the end of March to find out what happens, YouTuber WorldofGeekdom might just have you covered. Since this is an unofficial leak, you should take the information in the video with a grain of salt. Geekdom did say they got the information for the end of the movie from a source they trust, but until the movie comes out or it’s confirmed in some way, we have no way to know for sure. We do have the video containing spoilers posted below if you want to listen to them – but consider this your warning not to click play on the video below if you don’t want to potentially ruin the plot to Godzilla vs. Kong for yourself. SPOILER WARNING: The video below contains potential spoilers, watch at your own risk! These likely won’t be the only spoilers dropping before the movie comes out, so if you want to try and avoid them, we’d suggest muting “Godzilla vs. Kong” on Twitter until the movie comes out in theaters and to HBO Max on March 31, 2021.

  • YouTuber Lauren Southern explains why she was banned on Twitch – Dexerto

YouTuber Lauren Southern explains why she was banned on Twitch Instagram: laurencherriieLauren Southern has been banned on Twitch over one of her stream titles, explaining the reason behind her ban on September 20. Lauren Southern hasn’t been one to shy away from controversy in the past, a political activist and YouTuber who regularly shares her views to her 600,000 YouTube subscribers and counting. She’s also a bestselling author and filmmaker, with her book “Barbarians: How The Baby Boomers, Immigration, and Islam Screwed my Generation” releasing in December 2016. Her latest effort, “The ABC’s of Morality,” was created to “combat the woke takeover of children’s literature with wholesomeness instead.” Looking to build out her online presence, Southern has also taken to Twitch to stream occasionally, but during a debate panel on the platform, her account was banned. While the ban is only temporary, Southern explained what exactly had happened, clearly a bit confused as to their reasoning. “Well. I just got banned off Twitch. Lol,” she wrote in her initial tweet, though no explanation had been provided up to that point. Around an hour later, she provided an update on the situation. “So looks like it’s a temporary suspension for ‘hate speech,’” she said. “I was invited on a panel discussing whether Transgenderism is a mental illness, and I just put the panel discussion topic in the title of my video.” So looks like it’s a temporary suspension for “”hate speech”” – I was invited on a panel discussing whether Transgenderism is a mental illness, and I just put the panel discussion topic in the title of my video lmao. — Lauren Southern (@Lauren_Southern) September 20, 2021 This topic of discussion was incredibly divisive, facing some backlash from the Twitch community. With a large trans community on the platform, there was criticism to the panel Southern was featured on. As one user explained, “hosting open hate speech about me and a large part of my viewer base is really not something I’m finding encouraging.” https://twitter.com/bloodberry_tart/status/1439938709894451200?s=20 Lauren confirmed that the suspension is a temporary one, though how long she’s restricted from broadcasting on Twitch remains to be seen. With the date of her suspension arriving on the same day as the Canadian federal election, there’s no doubt Southern had other things on her mind — but we expect to see her back debating on Twitch before long.

  • YouTuber Landon Nickerson gives up $2m career to create tech startup – Dexerto

YouTuber Landon Nickerson gives up $2m career to create tech startup Instagram: landn[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]Landon Nickerson is a name well-known among younger generations as a gaming YouTuber with millions of subscribers — but now, he’s putting that behind him to focus on his new tech startup Arkh. Nickerson defines Arkh as “the paradigm shifting in technology to come,” focusing on Augmented Reality (AR) spatial computing with the aim of becoming the first mainstream AR platform. We spoke with Landon about his YouTube career, what Arkh can do for society and, among other things, the pressure of leaving behind a $2m-a-year career to pursue the unknown. “It was kind of scary,” Landon said, when asked about leaving YouTube to pursue a tech startup. “But something I learned was this: Once you identify your passion, you should never be concerned about what anyone else is saying, especially if it’s ‘this is impossible to do’. If you truly believe in yourself and keep going after something, YouTube for example, you’ll get to where you want to be.” There’s no denying that this has been a huge leap of faith for the 21-year-old, who even at his tender age has made more money than many of us could fathom — and is consequently willing to give it all up to chase an opportunity that could end without any of the success he’s seen so far. Landon has realized, though, that his interest in Arkh and this new idea for innovative technology was worth the risk — or, more importantly, he would never forgive himself for passing up on the opportunity to take the risk. “When I first got the idea I realized I could pursue it, or I could continue doing YouTube the same way I had been doing pretty comfortably,” he said. “And I realized that if I didn’t pursue Arkh and this crazy idea that I would probably look back and regret it, and YouTube would always be there.” The obvious question here is how Landon’s platform helps Arkh going forward. As someone who created gaming content with Fortnite, Minecraft and Roblox, the correlation between his YouTube audience and the tech audience looks to be almost nil. Nickerson isn’t concerned, though, and he believes his core audience, those who tuned in every day to support him, will still want to interact with Arkh and see what they’re doing. Moreso, he firmly believes that Arkh offers a technology that can “benefit everyone,” so while younger fans might not understand the relevance of AR and spatial computing, they might still reap the benefits. If you needed any further proof that Landon is all-in on this project, he just about confirms that he’s done with his content creation for now, saying that he’s “really trying to step away from the YouTube stuff” even if it leaves him “nameless,” and that he’s “really focused on trying to allow my startup’s brand to live through myself.” Needless to say, it takes true belief to step away from such insane annual earnings as his projected $2m to go all-in on a tech startup — but, he says, it’s his understanding of social media, and YouTube in particular, that helped present this opportunity. “Once you understand that the main commodity of social media, including YouTube, is people’s attention, you can divert your following or your influence in any direction. “Whether that’s Emma Chamberlain and how she has a coffee company now, or a very popular route is making a clothing brand. Once you have the attention, you can introduce things to that group of people, you can do anything.” In fact, he says, he’s learned a lot from fellow YouTubers, particularly after attending both KSI vs. Logan Paul boxing matches. “Thinking about KSI, he’s the perfect person to show that you can do anything,” Landon explained. “He defined a YouTube path and then found a path that was not well worn, where he had this opportunity to do something where people were saying ‘don’t do this, you’re going to get hit in the head, it’s not going to work out for you,’ and he did it. Look where he’s at now. He has this limitless mindset. “When I saw KSI and Logan Paul fighting… They’re not scared of trying and failing. They’re really just focused on doing something. They’re not worried about what could go wrong, but only worried about what’s going to go right. Watching that fight kind of made me realize that.” So with the upcoming launch of Arkh, does that mean Landon Nickerson, the guy with a million V-Bucks, the guy who got banned from Roblox twice, has given up on YouTube completely? Not at all. “I see myself coming back to YouTube when the time is right,” he said, evidently already in the mindset of a tech CEO. “I really, really want to prove to the world that what we’re working on here is very legitimate, and I think once that’s established, it’ll be really good for me to come back into the YouTube life.” While Nickerson might not be on our screens and in our YouTube sub box right now, he believes that he might be back one day. But, for now, he’s taking on the tech giants we’re all so fond of — and, in his own words, pushing them to up their game, approach technology differently and innovate even further. Speaking with Landon, there’s one resounding message that repeats throughout our conversation: anything is possible. Whatever you want, if you go for it, you can achieve it. Having seen so much success by the age of 21, it’s hard to disagree with him, and impossible not to buy into his belief in Arkh’s success. While details on Arkh are scarce right now, Landon assured us that by the end of September, the AR spatial computing company will see their first big activation, and he sounds more excited than ever.

  • YouTuber Lauren Love banned from Walmart after ‘firing’ employees in cruel prank video – Dexerto

YouTuber Lauren Love banned from Walmart after ‘firing’ employees in cruel prank video Lauren Love, Instagram / Mike Mozart, FlickrLike many video sites across the internet, YouTube is a hive for hilarious skits and pranks – but sometimes, these practical jokes take things too far. Popular YouTuber Lauren Love is one such prankster, who decided to dress up as a faux CEO of Walmart in a bid to “fire” store employees during their shifts. “So, I’m going to be going up to Walmart employees and basically observing them, and then I’m going to be, like, ‘You’re fired. Let me see your badge,’” Love explained in a now-deleted video, titled “CEO Firing People Prank.” In the video, Love “fired” an array of employees – one of which claimed that she had been working for the company for over six years, who held back tears as Love assured her that her “termination” was merely a prank. The worker in question, Maria Leones, told a Houston news outlet that she felt “really so crushed, I felt so little, I felt so powerless,” explaining that her husband was recovering from triple bypass surgery. Walmart has since expressed solidarity with Leones, decrying Love’s actions as “bullying,” and asking YouTube to remove the offensive video altogether – even banning Love from their stores due to the prank. “We’ve taken actions on behalf of our associates, including asking YouTube to remove the video and calling their attention to the bullying nature of this hoax,” a Walmart spokesperson said of the debacle. “Our associates work hard every day to serve our customers. They do a fantastic job, deserve better than being subjected to such disrespect, and will continue to have our full support.” https://www.instagram.com/p/BxYWhXMHCHl/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkLove has since published an apology video to YouTube discussing the matter, where she claimed that the prank was meant as a “social experiment” and a means to “go viral” to provide for her children. Love wouldn’t be the first YouTuber to publish such a prank video, either; in fact, popular YouTuber Cassady Campbell garnered mass backlash for his own “CEO Firing People Prank” video in March 2019, which similarly took place at a Walmart store. Other pranksters have undergone scrutiny on the site for various, over-the-top videos, such as ‘Prank Invasion’s’ multiple kissing videos with women posing as his family members.

  • YouTuber Kwebbelkop doubles down with AI content creation revamp despite early criticism – Dexerto

YouTuber Kwebbelkop doubles down with AI content creation revamp despite early criticism YouTube: KwebbelkopPopular YouTuber Kwebbelkop has doubled down on his AI content creation plans with a new revamp of his AI project despite early criticisms. Jordi Maxim van den Bussche, more commonly known by his internet alias Kwebbelkop, was under fire back in August after announcing that he was launching a new project, “Kwebbelkop AI”, to feature in gaming videos on his behalf. This AI reveal in August also came with the announcement that he will no longer be showing his real face in his YouTube videos, intending to fully replace himself with his AI. However, after a wave of criticisms, Kwebbelkop has since doubled down on this AI content, canceling the original project and replacing it with a revamped “Kwebbelkop AI 2”. “I decided to share Kwebbelkop AI with the world when he wasn’t 100% ready,” Kwebbelkop said in his September 24 announcement video. “Everyone that has ever said about Kwebbelkop AI has been heard, every bit of criticism. “That’s why we decided to train a brand new Kwebbelkop 2.0 model, with every bit of feedback we received,” Kwebbelkop said. Viewers of his announcement video may have sensed something was off, however, with the out-of-sync audio and Kwebbelkop’s stiff and slightly exaggerated movement, that is because the video itself was made with this new “Kwebbelkop AI 2” program. The second iteration of his AI is a photorealistic version of himself, replacing the previously animated caricature AI that was initially announced in August. “One of the arguments that I kept hearing over and over was that they wanted to see me, the real me,” Kwebbelkop said in his video, which was what prompted him to go to the realistic AI route. As for when viewers can expect the change, Kwebbelkop answered a comment in response to his announcement tweet, revealing it is expected to take another six to nine months until it’s up and running with their new AI editor.

YouTuber kwebbelkop quitting 15m channel to replace himself with VTuber YouTube: kwebbelkopYouTuber kwebbelkop has decided to change the direction of his content after an experiment with VTubing proved to be more immensely profitable. He now plans to “quit” YouTube, or at least his main channel. Jordi Maxim van den Bussche, AKA kwebbelkop to 15 million subscribers, is a content creator known for Vlogging, GTA and reaction content on YouTube. Initially part of PewDiePie’s short-lived network Revelmode, kwebbelkop moved onto new pastures and began to create videos with Vtubers Bloo and Jam. Now, in a surprise change of direction, kwebbelkop has announced that he will be quitting YouTube and replacing himself with a VTuber. Kwebbelkop addresses fans with a new direction In a thread of tweets on December 18, kwebbelkop announced to his followers that he’d be quitting YouTube. While the kwebbelkop channel won’t be gone entirely, the presence of the YouTube himself will be removed in favor of a VTuber. Summarising his achievements, the YouTuber stated “in 2022 I will have uploaded 10 years, every single day. From 2012 till 2022. And it’s my goal to retire in 2022. Here’s how I plan to do it.” “After investing a few million € of my own money I’m happy to announce the next generation of influencer. The V-Tuber,” he declared with a graphic of Bloo’s VTuber aesthetic. I explored everything. From Deepfakes to voice cloning software. And I’ve managed to achieve it! The V-Tuber. pic.twitter.com/7RCIvt1YZh — Kwebbelkop (@Kwebbelkop) December 18, 2021 The decision to change his content hasn’t come lightly, as the path to creating his VTuber persona has led to numerous tests: “But what about the voice? Problem solved. We have Disney-grade AI software that can turn anyone’s voice into the desired voice.” Kwebbelkop noted how VTubers are “infinitely scalable” due to their artificial nature, which means they “can’t die” or “leave a company.” It also means the creator can approach more diverse audiences, as “they can speak any language and be at multiple places at the same time.” The YouTuber won’t be retiring just yet, as they are waiting to maximize their profits from fellow collaborator Bloo: “I plan to retire from making Kwebbelkop videos once Bloo revenue surpasses the revenue generated by my main channel. Let’s just say that it’s 70% of the way there!” Vtubing has become increasingly popular on both YouTube and Twitch, allowing creators to tap into multiple audiences at once. Originating in Japan, these digital avatars are fastly becoming the future of content creation.
