The analogy that followed on from this was done in a way that only he knows how. He wanted to give people a real example – or comparison – which shows how he sees the content found inside loot boxes. So, he proposed the idea of selling $10 mystery boxes on the street but making it so that people couldn’t sell its contents for real money – just like many videos games. xQc said: “[Inside] ‘could be a paperclip, a Gameboy, a phone. Despite the creativity of his point, a counter argument would be that players in CS:GO and other games can sell loot crate content to others on the Steam marketplace and use third party methods to turn their returns into cash. Players of that game will very much be aware that big money can be spent – and gained – by purchasing and selling some of the rarer sticker packs in that game. Both RiceGum and Paul uploaded videos to their YouTube channels promoting the site, showing their reactions as they appeared to win high-end luxury items like popular sneakers, branded clothes and even expensive gadgets. YouTubers such as Ethan Klein from H3H3 Productions and Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg have hit out at the pair, calling the website “shady” and asking whether Paul and Le should be promoting gambling to their young fan base. On January 3 xQc had his say on the situation, comparing the website and a player’s odds of winning these prizes to entering a casino and playing a game there. “If I walk into a casino and I go to the roulette table, I know that my odds of winning if I bet on red or black are 48.5%,” stated the Canadian. “All the odds, all the percentages of me winning are out there.” “It’s open, it’s not hidden, but with these websites you don’t know your chances of winning. All the values are hidden and they choose the values. It’s ten times worse than gambling because most gambling games are quantifiable, but this is trash. This is a scam, a gambling scam.” RiceGum has explained in a video uploaded on January 3 that, due to the lucrative deal he was given to promote the site, he didn’t think of the possibility of it being a scam, but has admitted he knows he was “somewhat in the wrong.” Jake Paul has not talked about the issue on his YouTube channel, but did send out a tweet urging kids not to gamble. As ever with IRL streaming, there are sure to be interesting interactions with passersby and, sometimes, even fans who have decided to interrupt the stream. Yet, one particular stream sniper dropped by with some hilarious references for xQc’s viewers – and with a small demand of his own. While sat in a bar, xQc was handed multiple sheets of paper from behind the positioned camera. Reading through them, one of the streamer’s friends realized that they were being stream sniped by a fan who was delivering in-real-life chat spam with paper. The fan’s antics didn’t end there. The Twitch star was playing on the classic map, Dust 2, when he found himself getting sniped after communicating with his team that his opponents had pushed out mid and used that as the reason for his death. “I can’t, why does Valve put talking on ‘K’? Just one glance, at this time, might have saved the day as a number of people in his chat suggested that a middle mouse click would have allowed him to pick it up. With another person approaching his location, he moved up the stairs with just a pistol in hand before missing a few shots. Reloading as he walked up the stairs, another appeared out of nowhere and took him out – sparking a big reaction from the Canadian. “This game is so totally f*cked!” he roared. “Why can’t I get the f*cking gun? The gun is not picking up. It says question marks.” His teammate Pokelawls tried to talk him through the problem soon after his death, but that only triggered yet another hilarious reaction from xQc – this time with a more chilled out tone, though. As the chat suggested previously, the mistake he made was not inspecting the weapons with the middle mouse click, something he called a “stupid” feature. “You have to inspect the gun. I get it. Take your time and look at it, but if it’s real-life… Somebody invades your f*cking house and there’s a gun, but you don’t know whose gun it is. Oh wait, I cannot pick it up. I must know first what it is and what it means,” he says before making some funny hand gestures. I want your crust on my body. I can feel the beat like your crust!” Lengyel has returned to Overwatch after claiming he would never play it again, and has quickly shown that he hasn’t lost his touch since stepping away from the professional scene. In response to a clip of the game uploaded by Riot Games themselves, the 23-year-old vented his frustrations at the current state of Overwatch, where he feels too many heroes have shields, thus making it harder to break down defences, and the game less enjoyable to play. “Please add barriers and shields,” wrote the former Overwatch pro in a sarcastic tweet. “As (many) as possible. Since his return it seems the streamer is trying to turn over a new leaf, he’s even avoided raging in situations he usually would, most of the time at least. While playing Overwatch recently, xQc got a question from a viewer who asked him what he thought about ‘teabagging’, or the action of crouching directly on your opponents face after they’re knocked out in FPS games. “I feel like people don’t really teabag for the right reasons anymore,” xQc told viewers. “People are so young and they just started playing online video games, they don’t really understand why you teabag, it’s kind of lost it’s value, it’s meaning, it’s sort of, reasoning.” Now, the action is mainly used when one player knocks another out, Lengyel said. “You didn’t do shit,” the streamer told his fans. “If you don’t understand, you’re probably between 10 and 18 years old, maybe 19, that’s why you don’t understand it.” There was a bit of teabagging controversy in during Season One of the Overwatch League when Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee of the Philadelphia Fusion eliminated eliminated Gi-hyeon “Ado” Chon of the Shanghai Dragons during a match and proceeded to crouch repeatedly on top of him. While xQc can definitely dole out criticism in-game, it seems he thinks it’s necessary for players who aren’t good at the game, explaining his thought process in an incredible rage just moments after complaining that his own teammates didn’t understand the meta. While xQc’s chat may be right about his “toxic behaviour,” it doesn’t look like he has any intention of changing it.

When asked by a member of his Twitch chat to explain what exactly “the juice” is, xQc explained that it had a different meaning to each person, using some inspirational music to hammer home his point to his audience. “There’s no clear definition of what the juice is,” Lengyel explained to his chat. “The juice is whatever you make it. It can be anything. Nobody can define what it is for you, you know what the juice is. “For me, the juice is whenever I win. That’s my juice. But maybe your juice is when you make a nice piece of art, hell yeah, that’s your juice! Maybe you like when people notice you, you want fame, that’s your juice. Maybe you like money and buying shit, and that’s the juice.” This isn’t the first time xQc has gotten philosophical on stream, as back on January 26 he went on an incredible rant as he tried to figure out whether the concept of truth actually existed. The former Overwatch pro has returned to the game in recent weeks after a period spent away for the popular Blizzard title, but Lengyel is still trying out other games as he transitions into becoming more of a variety streamer. It is the first project director Hideo Kojima has worked on since the production company split off from Konami in 2015, meaning there was a lot of anticipation building towards its launch, and after completing it on stream xQc decided to hit out at everybody who has bashed it with reviews. At the time of writing, Death Stranding – which recorded PlayStation’s second-largest launch on the PS4 console in the United Kingdom according to GamesIndustry.biz – has an 83% approval rate on Metacritic, which states that the title has “mixed or average” reviews. During a broadcast on November 10, the former Overwatch professional player said: “Obviously the game was poorly received by trash game reviewers that couldn’t play the game properly and would get stuck on parts where you have to walk a lot, because they couldn’t climb properly because they’re just stupid, so they gave it an overly bad review.” “If you’re someone that’s more for gameplay, then, of course, this would have a bad review, but not that bad. Not as bad as people gave it in the first place – no way dude.” When asked about what he would rate the game out of 10, he decided to go with a 9.5 at the first time of asking, but soon changed his mind – as seen in the clip below. Even after admitting that he can see why some players have had problems with the game, xQc predicted that it would certainly be scooping several video game awards in the near future. xQc enrages Greekgodx with hilarious Minecraft prank Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has become well known for getting angry while playing games, but a recent Minecraft prank he pulled on Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos was designed to get his fellow streamer riled up. While xQc is best known for his incredible skills on Overwatch, the Canadian has began to branch out and try other games on his channel, transitioning himself into more of a variety streamer than Overwatch mainstay. Lengyel has already tried out titles like Pokémon: Let’s Go! and Beyond: Two Souls, and on Tuesday, January 22 hopped on to a Minecraft server with Antonatos and Tyler ‘Tyler1’ Steinkamp. While searching through a cave system on the open-world sandbox game, xQc came across a large pool of lava, and immediately began to think about how he could use the deadly substance to mess with his fellow players. Lengyel quickly jumped into the lava, setting himself on fire and taking a lot of damage in the process. Just as he was about to die, xQc opened up the game’s text box and typed in a command that would teleport Greekgodx to his location, condemning his fellow streamer to the same fiery end that he had just met. “Let’s go baby!” screamed xQc as Antonatos screamed in frustration. “Let’s go!” While xQc has taken a step back from Overwatch, the Canadian has shown that he is still incredibly skilled at the game with a crazy Winston clutch that secured a victory for his squad. The game does still frustrate Lengyel though, with the streamer completely losing his mind after a loss in his 46th Overwatch match of the day on Monday.

The Canadian streamer was flipping through videos with his chat when he came across an old clip from longtime CS:GO veteran İsmailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş’s stream that caught xQc’s eye. The clip was not even five seconds long, but it was enough to mystify xQc on the decidedly strange camera angles that he’s seen CS:GO broadcasters utilize on a regular basis. “Cause I always wondered… woooah, the fu–,” xQc said after being interrupted mid thought. “Every CS:GO streamers have these garbage ass camera angles.” The former Overwatch pro proceeded to move his own camera in a mocking display of how his stream would look if he took a similar, albeit exaggerated, approach to recording himself on Twitch. He demonstrated awful viewpoints that included showing a sliver of forehead peering over his computer’s monitor, having his mouse centered with a part of his right shoulder completely filling the frame, and what he said was the “NICKMERCS angle” that only showed his forehead peering from the bottom of the camera. xQc is famously unapologetic when it comes to giving an opinion on anything he finds unfavorable, and CS:GO audiences might finally have something to agree when it comes to camera angles in the scene.

While he often leaves the jokes to build up throughout the course of his streams, one message comparing him to a character from J.K. Rowling’s mega-popular wizarding world prompted a strong response from him. 600Lengyel was sporting a fresh haircut, which was a little shorter than usual, and it didn’t take long for one viewer to make an easy comparison between him and a member of the Malloy family. “Yo, what’s up Draco Malfoy? Nice haircut by the way. Guessing you got tired of Hogwarts and decided to stream for muggles ay. Blimey, you’re bloody awful at this game,” the text-to-speech voice stated, before the donator landed a heavy blow. “You should probably use some magic like Gitticus Goodigus you daft cunt.” The streamer is no stranger to hilarious donations and trolls appearing in his chat, though, and he’s even previously gone as far as saying that the community he had built on Twitch has made him numb in some ways. That never stopped him from firing back with a hilarious shot of his own, though, after quickly responding with: “Alright, well I’ll just go and play quidditch right up your mom’s booty hole man.” Draco might well have emerged as one of the most villainous characters in the Harry Potter novels, but there’s definitely no similarity in the way these two speak – even if they have the same hair color. X-Files superfan solves 25-year-old mystery about long-lost Dreamland song FoxSince 1998, X-Files fans have struggled to place the title and artist of a song played in the background of one of the show’s Season 6 episodes, now, thanks to Twitter, the mystery has finally been solved. When it comes to atmospheric musical choices, the X-Files has rarely disappointed, featuring hits from the likes of Nick Cave and the Foo Fighters — to say nothing of the show’s iconic theme song. But one track featured in an earlier episode has had folks scratching their heads about who wrote it for over two decades. That’s when one Twitter user decided they were going to get to the bottom of things. The song in question was featured in the episode Dreamland II, the fifth episode of the show’s sixth season. And her sleuthing paid off, with the query eventually reaching the ears of composer, Rob Cairns, who happened to know the X-Files music editor at the time, he suggested tracking down the cue sheet. Another user followed Cairns’ suggestion and tracked down the cue sheet from the episode. The song “Staring at the Stars” was written by musician Dan Marfisi and Emmy award winner Glenn Jordan, specifically for the show, you can catch its appearance in the episode in the video below. The recording was never publicly released, the reason fans of the show were left wondering about the origins all this time. Marfisi and Jordan penned the tune in just four hours, Marfisi spoke with NPR about writing it, explaining: “We had a directive to write something that would fit both an alien and a human being… And we kind of looked up in the sky and said, what’s up there besides aliens? And we found stars … that was our brainstorming session.”

The former Overwatch pro was watching a clip of fellow Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect venting his frustration’s with EA’s Origin platform after being met with a ‘cloud sync error’ that prevented him from playing Apex Legends, the popular new free-to-play battle royale title. “Jesus Christ, this Origin sucks!” the Doc called out as he discovered the error. “EA, get rid of it. Just get rid of it. Like, nice idea EA, it’s not working out, just get rid of it. Put everything on Steam.” The former Overwatch pro is now one of the biggest names on Twitch. This prompted xQc to take things one step further, by trying to prove that EA is failing as a company, despite the popularity of Apex Legends. “No, it’s [Origin] working guys – I promise,” he stated sarcastically before heading to Google in an attempt to use the company’s current stock price as a way to emphasize his point. “Guys, I know the stock market,” Lengyel added before being met with a graph EA’s share prices dropping significantly in recent months. X enters the streaming wars with new affiliate program to compete with Twitch & Kick XGaming / Instagram: gmhikaru, esfandtvSocial media platform X is competing with the likes of Twitch and YouTube after officially launching an Affiliate program to sign content creators with non-exclusive contracts. Ever since Kick broke onto the scene in 2023, competition has been steadily rising in the broadcasting space. More recently, creators have been debating the idea of multi-streaming to several platforms at once… and now, X is entering the fray as a serious contender. On September 12, 2024, news broke that X, formerly Twitter, is starting to collaborate with broadcasters like Esfand, who streamed OTK’s Top Streamer event on the social platform. A quick look at X Gaming’s profile shows a number of broadcasters under its banner, including chess GM Hikaru Nakamura, Esfand, 100 Thieves’ Castro, and Fortnite pro MrSavage, among others. In total, there are 31 streamers under X’s Affiliate program thus far. Streamers affiliated with X boast a red badge by their handles, which includes an image of a gaming controller. Thus far, little is known about X’s affiliate program or how streamers can qualify for it. While this is far from the first time broadcasters have expanded their content to the platform, it marks a major development in the streaming landscape. In fact, mere days prior to this news, internet personality Dr Disrespect revealed that he’d be broadcasting on X. He claimed he “didn’t have a subscribe button” on the site at the time of the announcement… and as of September 12, it looks like he hasn’t been given a shiny red button to join the platform’s other Affiliates. X’s Affiliate program follows the induction of Kick’s Creator program in 2023, which allows streamers who meet certain requirements to make money on the platform, similar to Twitch. While many live streaming services offer their own version of this model, it’s unclear what the specifics are of X’s own endeavor — or how other streamers can get in on it.

While he’s usually the king of conversation, one phone call from the Undertaker left the streamer rattled — rattled enough to even turn off his stream and stop his Overwatch placements entirely. The Doc was just finishing up his Overwatch placements, hovering around Silver-Gold elo and getting increasingly frustrated as losses kept flowing his way. After someone dodged his final game though, he received a call with no caller ID. A glitch graphic played over the stream, with the Doc’s slightly-jovial mood quickly turning to fear. “I’m looking for someone” played over the Two-Time’s mic, and as the phone kept buzzing, he looked at it, seemingly hoping it would pick itself up. As the scenery changed to outside his arena, with a bright banner telling him to pick it up, the Doc composed himself and took the call, which happened to be from none other than WWE superstar the Undertaker. “You’ve trespassed on sacred ground,” the voice rung out. “I have no patience for the two-time. WWE is my domain, my yard. Your transgressions will be punished. “Dr Disrespect, you will rest — in — peace” the voice — which sounded exactly like Mark William Calaway himself — continued. The two-time wanted nothing to do with the threat, bailing off camera as quickly as possible, and ending the stream a few short seconds later. While he professes to be a “6’8” Gaming Freak of Nature,” one has to question whether he’d last 30 seconds in a cell with the Undertaker himself. That wasn’t the only exciting thing that happened to the Doc on his latest Overwatch endeavor. The official Overwatch account dropped by to gift 100 subs to the two-time’s followers as a show of support for the streamer picking the game back up. He also had to deal with his fair share of trolls, ragers, and toxic players on his grind through lower elo, although he never actually got to the end of his Damage placements on stream. While he has a 1-3 record for now, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow, or another time, to see where he actually gets placed. After all, he’s got some business with the Undertaker to take care of, and that seems a lot more pressing.

Harley Morenstein set a precedent following his fight against Arin Hanson at Creator Clash 1. The heavyweight monster brutally beat his opponent and bravely accepted anyone who dared challenge him in the ring. Little did he know, his next opponent would be WWE Superstar John Morrison. A man whom Harley towered over in weight and stature, yet he stood no chance of defeating. While Morrison claimed his worst field of combat was boxing, he approached the ring as David approached Goliath, easily dismantling his giant foe in two rounds. And after the bout, he set his sights on some of influencer boxing’s biggest stars. Morrison challenges KSI to a boxing match After his victory, John Morrison was asked who he would want to step in the ring with next. There are not many people who might want to step into the ring with him after such an intense fight, but he had a few fighters on his mind. “There are some influencer boxers I have zero respect for. Jake Paul? Blegh! Logan Paul? Blegh! They both make me sick. The Paul brothers make me sick. Overnight tough guys. In this age of social media, scammers have taken to new methods when it comes to scouting a potential victim. Creating fake Instagram accounts of celebrities, whether they be actors or sporting superstars, is just one way scammers have found their way into people’s private messages. One man participating in a “loyalty test” was outed for having been messaging a fake account of WWE superstar Liv Morgan… despite having been married for eight years. Asked to go through one another’s phones, the man’s wife discovered he had been corresponding with the fake account. He tried to claim that he “probably didn’t answer” as he thought the account’s questions surrounding his relationship status were “stupid.” However, his wife quickly shut him down, saying, “Yes, you have!” And she didn’t look all too convinced by his reasoning. When asked if she wanted to continue checking his phone, she declined, stating, “No, ‘cause there’s going to be more sh** on there.” Now the real Liv Morgan has responded, sharing the clip on X (formerly Twitter) with a simple “Ya’ll” and a sad emoji. “Not your name being thrown into some mess you ain’t got nothing to do with,” one person on the platform said. Morgan responded, “I feel terrible bro.” Fans were quick to send their support, assuring Morgan that the situation was not her fault. WWE Superstars set for Twitch streaming return as new deal inked YouTube: WWEWWE Superstars might be able to stream on Twitch again after the wrestling company has reportedly made a new deal with the broadcasting platform. In 2020, the WWE notably placed restrictions on its talent who created content on third-party platforms, the most notable of those being Twitch. At that time, a fair amount of WWE stars were streaming on Twitch, including names like Paige and Austin Creed of UpUpDownDown fame. This crackdown would take any proceeds their Superstars received while making content under their stage names, or shut their channels down, completely — resulting in stars like Paige breaking down during a broadcast in October of that year over the new restrictions. WWE creates new deal with Twitch to allow Superstar streams However, it looks like this policy is about to change. According to reports from Sean Ross Sapp of FightfulSelect, the WWE has apparently inked a new deal with Twitch that will allow its talent to continue streaming on the service under their own channels. According to reports, this new deal will enact a three-way split between Twitch, the wrestling talent involved, and the WWE, with Twitch and the individual SuperStar taking a majority of the payment cut. Thus far, the only restriction appears to be that wrestlers from other promotional companies will not be allowed to stream with the WWE’s Superstars — unless the WWE clears it, first. Previously, the WWE gave its talent 30 days to shut down their channels, or hand over full control of their accounts to the company. “It is imperative that these activities be terminated within the next 30 days,” CEO Vince McMahon said in a statement to every WWE employee on September 4, 2020. “Continued violations will result in fines, suspension or termination at WWE’s discretion.” Luckily, it looks like this widely unpopular decision is getting the boot, following rumors that the viral WWE sale to Saudi Arabi was purportedly faked to entice other buyers.

Here’s what we know. When TikTok first started life as a platform for artists and other creatives, it spawned a wave of brand-new internet stars. Though, over time, plenty of mainstream names have made their way over there. Now, whenever you load up TikTok, you’re probably going to come across a famous face that you recognize. The likes of Britney Spears, Ed Sheeran, and Selena Gomez are consistently posting on the short-form video app for millions of fans. One person you won’t see, at least temporarily, is WWE star Roman Reigns – real name Joe Anoaʻi. The long-time WWE Champion has had his account banned for some reason, and fans can’t quite believe it. Why was Roman Reigns banned on TikTok? That’s right, The Tribal Chief’s account – which previously had over 1.3 million followers – disappeared out of the blue on July 5 and was hit with an ‘account banned’ message. This is different from permanently deleted accounts which show a different message, leading to speculation as to why it’s disappeared. With those longer bans, TikTok typically reveals which guideline an account has broken, but that hasn’t happened here. As a result, Reigns’ ban likely came as a result of one of his wrestling highlights being flagged for violence. Yes, it might not be real, but it can still be flagged for simulated violence. As noted, plenty of professional wrestling fans have chimed in on the ban, with many referring to the poor time Reigns has had in the ring now extending to social media. “Pinning Roman Reigns wasn’t enough. Jey Uso had to get him banned from Tiktok too,” joked one. “TikTok no longer acknowledges him,” said another. “Nothing going right for the Tribal Chief at the moment!” added another. Given it doesn’t appear to be a permanent ban, his account will likely return to normal before long, so WWE fans will be able to get their fix again.

Self-proclaimed CEO of gym positivity Joey Swoll is no stranger to calling people out for bad behaviour in the gym. Recently he set his sights on WWE Superstars Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. After calling out the two professional wrestlers in a viral video, the Swoll army ridiculed the WWE Superstars. Waller, who has been cozying up to Logan Paul recently, is no stranger to a verbal joust and has clapped back at Joey Swoll and his fans. Fans of both have been going back and forth on X as the two duke it out. However, there is a chance that this whole thing is a work. The whole thing kicked off with a TikTok from Swoll seemingly berating Waller and Theory for their behavior while filming at a gym. Of course, Swoll did challenge Theory to a wrestling match so in all likelihood, it could just be some viral marketing for the upcoming WrestleMania 40 or even an actual match down the line. Waller chimed in with a response of his own sticking up for his tag team partner and on-screen bestie. Calling Swoll a “giant flop” which, for folks that don’t speak Australian, is tantamount to being called a loser. The WWE Superstar even posted his own video to X roasting Swoll and his fanbase. Alleging that he’d received a number of hateful DMs, Waller took some shots. “For a bunch of people who worship you (Joey Swoll) as a gym guy, your fans are a bunch of fat, ugly losers,” Waller quipped. “Maybe your fans should have spent more time reading than pretending to go to the gym.” Waller is well known for his incorrigible on-air personality and his job is to get people riled up so most folks in the comments are taking it in stride. It’s probably a little too late for a WrestleMania spot but we might see Joey Swoll enter the ring with either Theory or Waller at some point down the line.

Twitch’s ban hammer is a fierce one. Streamers won’t always be told the exact reason and could face bans for any length of time based on their indiscretion, be it from just a day to a lifetime ban. For example, the reason behind Dr Disrespect’s lifetime Twitch ban is still completely unknown to everyone, and that came at a time where he was arguably the biggest name on the platform. Every day multiple Twitch partners are banned, but it’s not often they have much of a universal audience or the level of celebrity as someone like Paige. She’s a multiple-time champion, having scooped the NXT title and breaking through to the main roster like no other, where she became the youngest ever Divas Champion in WWE history. Since that time, she’s featured in multiple WWE television shows, such as Total Divas and Tough Enough, helping her become a mainstream star. Why is Paige banned on Twitch? While it’s not clear what the exact reason is, with Paige not speaking about the ban yet, fans and viewers seem to believe it’s a DMCA claim. While this can’t be verified at the time of writing, it definitely seems a plausible explanation and is a clear reason for a ban. If not using the official ‘Watch Party’ function, most streamers will often simply react and give their audience the chance to watch along with them. If the rumors are to be believed, Paige simply watched the film on-stream. Paige officially retired from in-ring competition at the age of 25 back in April 2018, following a string of neck injuries. But she has since held several non-competing roles with the WWE and built a big audience on Twitch, too. (WWE) may be the most globally recognizable brand when it comes to sports entertainment, the company has come under extreme scrutiny for new and restrictive measures to take over wrestler’s Twitch accounts. The world of professional wrestling is often compared to a traveling circus. Talented performers move from country to country each week in order to entertain fans with acrobatic feats and over the top storytelling. Despite raking in tens of millions each year, WWE still treats its wrestlers as independent contractors. As a result of this, they’re not afforded many basic workers rights such as annual leave or health insurance to name a few. In recent years, many have looked outside of the wrestling bubble for a little extra compensation on the side. Whether it was Cameo to create quick, personalized videos for fans, or YouTube, to give fans a more intricate look behind the scenes. One such avenue was livestreaming on Twitch. A number of key personalities stream on the Amazon-owned platform, sharing their gaming downtime with fans around the world. However, WWE recently tried to put a stop to these extra activities and now, this move has reportedly gone through. “It is imperative that these activities be terminated within the next 30 days,” CEO Vince McMahon shared with every WWE employee on September 4. “Continued violations will result in fines, suspension or termination at WWE’s discretion.” Since then, wrestlers were informed that they were allowed to keep their accounts running on various third-party platforms. Perhaps these streams could soon come to an end by WWE’s hand. There’s no telling just how big a shakeup this might cause, though many have already been deleting their Cameo accounts just to be safe. Perhaps an exodus on Twitch could be right around the corner. WWE will allegedly be taking control of every Twitch account in exactly four weeks. Logan Paul burst onto the fighting scene in 2019 after taking on Olajide Olayinka Williams ‘KSI’ Olatunji in a sanctioned boxing match. He kicked it up a notch in 2021 after going the distance against Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout. But that’s not all he’s been up to. He made his professional wrestling debut for WWE after apppearing alongside Sami Zayn on Friday Night Smackdown. He was also floored with a Stone Cold Stunner from Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37 a week later. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, this was a deliberate move by the WWE to avoid Paul getting booed during his entrance. Later on, in the show, Paul was taken out by the Miz during a segment. When The Miz hit him with the skull-crushing finale, the crowd began cheering “one more time”. Clearly, the WWE universe is not buying Paul’s role as a baby face as well as the company might have hoped. The transition not going as organically as they would like and so Melter’s comment furthers the idea that the WWE is doing everything they can to minimize opportunities for Paul to receive boos from fans. The move to make Paul a babyface is a surprising one given how easily he won over fans as a heel. And while The Miz may be a fantastic bad guy, he has now hit a point in his career where he is so beloved that even when playing the heel the audience does still root for him. WWE and UFC complete merger to create $21 billion company WWE/UFCVince McMahon’s WWE brand has completed its merger with UFC parent company Endeavor Group, with a reported price of over $9.3 billion being paid to scoop up the pro wrestling company. It had previously been reported by CNBC that the WWE had been in “advanced talks” with UFC parent company Endeavour Group about handing over the reins to a new buyer, following claims that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund wanted to scoop it up. Well, as of April 3, it has now been confirmed that Endeavor has purchased 51% of World Wrestling Entertainment, with WWE shareholders then maintaining the remaining 49% of the company. The price for the pro wrestling company is around $9.3 billion, with the merger taking Endeavor’s two sports companies to a value of around $21 billion. WWE and UFC merge finally happened Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel will act as chief executive for Endeavor’s new brand, with Vince McMahon continuing to serve as executive chairman of the WWE. It’s unknown if McMahon will return to his previous role in running day-to-day operations for WWE’s shows. With the two wrestling juggernauts serving under one banner, personnel changes are always a possibility. However, Endeavor President Mark Shapiro will also work in the same role at the new company. Dana White will remain as president of UFC, while WWE CEO Nick Khan will serve as president of the wrestling business. This news comes following the largest event of the year for WWE, WrestleMania, which finished up on April 2nd. Pro-wrestler Adam Cole has a Twitch following of almost 40,000, streaming games such as Final Fantasy and Fall Guys. Xavier Woods, also known as Austin Creed, streams to an audience of almost 80,000. However, this independent cross-platform content creation has clearly ruffled some feathers within the WWE, after it was reported that Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon had sent a letter on September 3 calling for those activities to be suspended. Wroetoshaw Roasts RiceGum In a New Diss Track Wroetoshaw – YouTube, RiceGum – YouTubeWroetoshaw called out YouTuber RiceGum in a diss track, challenging him to a boxing match a la Logan Paul vs KSI. Wroetoshaw, otherwise known as W2S, is part of a British YouTube group known as the “Sidemen.” Known for his love of luxury vehicles and energetic personality, it was only a matter of time before Wroetoshaw put his own twist on Logan Paul and KSI’s upcoming fight. W2S cited his inspiration for the video as stemming from KSI’s match with Joe Weller. It gave him the urge to throw down – and he knew exactly who he wanted to go after. “The first thing I need is an opponent. I’ve thought long and hard about this. I’m not getting punched in the face by anything that has less than ten million subs, and I also need someone who is just as desperate for attention as me.” W2S’s opponent was none other than RiceGum, a musician and YouTuber with over ten million subscribers on his main channel. After DMing RiceGum about a potential boxing match, the fight was confirmed – although the conversation’s legitimacy is somewhat questionable. W2S stated that he trained up for the match, showing a montage of comical clips where he put his strength to the test in the ring. KSI showed up, as well, giving him a legitimate punch in the stomach. While RiceGum called out WS2 on and interview with iDubbbz afterwards, stating that WS2 was “irrelevant,” the boxing match never happened. WS2 decided to take matters into his own hands. WS2 created a short diss track, where he referenced RiceGum’s past controversies and even used racist jokes to further insult him. “You pissed off China with a single vlog/ I heard you once tried to eat Alissa Violet’s dog.” WS2’s diss track precedes the Logan Paul/KSI fight by just one day. After such a callout, fans can only wait to hear RiceGum’s response.

Follower-only is pretty self-explanatory – only people who follow that streamer are allowed to comment in the chat. Slow mode limits how many messages people can send within a certain amount of time. Basically, the tools can both help to cut the spam of unnecessary messages as well as give viewers an incentive to follow the channel. And while many on the streaming platform use the two options, Alkaizerx has no intentions to ever do so. Even when his chat is being spammed with Trihard emotes and walls of text. “‘Why not activate follower only plus slow mode?’” the Warcraft streamer read from his chat. “Because that’s what pussies do. That’s what pussy streamers do. That are scared.” “People just want to enjoy and do whatever the fuck they want in chat” he added while looking at his camera while holding his hand up in a confused fashion. “‘Follower only mode,’” he mocked. “I guess my dick’s one and a half inches. Follower only mode, guys. One and a half is too big still? Guess I’ll put slow mode on. My dick’s only half an inch now and that’s when it’s hard.” Some of the most popular streamers such as Sweet Anita, Alinity, xQc, shroud and Asmongold all stream with follower only chat enabled. So, according to Alkaizerx, they’re all pussies. “This is my safe space, guys!” the streamer further mocked before stating one final point on the mater. “People just come into Twitch chats to try and get some entertainment, enjoyment, whatever. Let them do whatever the fuck they want to do,” he concluded. Wren Eleanor controversy explained: TikTokers worried by “creepy” searches for viral toddler tiktokwren/InstagramWren Eleanor is a toddler who went viral on TikTok along with her mom Jaquelyn with over 17 million followers. However, fans were shocked when all videos of Wren disappeared from the platform in July 2024, making people wonder what happened. Family vloggers have long been a controversial topic on social media. As the genre of family content grows bigger, some people are speaking out against the creators, saying children should not be used on social media. One TikTok account in particular that features a four-year-old girl named Wren Eleanor has been raising concerns among users on the platform. The social media account, which is managed by Wren’s mother Jacquelyn, consists of a bevy of videos of the toddler and has accumulated over 17 million followers and 624 million likes. Even though sharing cute snippets of your child’s life on social media certainly isn’t prohibited, some viewers are concerned that Jacquelyn may be putting Wren’s life in danger with her content. Why are viewers worried about Wren Eleanor? On Wren’s profile, Jacquelyn typically shares videos of her daughter’s outfits, hair routine, or clips of her just being silly. However, some followers are concerned that Jacquelyn might be exploiting her daughter on the platform for likes and internet fame. The proof, according to viewers, is the thousands of people who save each TikTok video on their phones. Some people, including TikToker Jessica, have also found weird search suggestions when looking for Wren’s TikTok profile. These include “Wren Eleanor hotdog” or “Wren Eleanor pickle,” which don’t seem appropriate, according to Jessica. There’s been a movement driven by TikTok moms calling out potentially creepy people following the account; they have also accused Jacquelyn of exploiting her child on social media. The discussion has largely focused on Wren and Jacquelyn, but it’s expanded to include other TikTok mom creators who post videos of their very young children. The discourse touches on the ethics of whether images of children should even be on social media, to begin with, and has prompted many parents to delete videos of their own children from their accounts. A subreddit was also created in April 2022 where people continue to discuss whether or not these videos of Wren should be allowed to remain online. Fans have also accused Jacquelyn of purposely putting Wren in revealing clothing to gain more views and interactions. In one video created for the 4th of July, Wren was seen posing in ripped jeans and a crop top, which made hundreds of viewers comment saying she was too young to wear a top like that, and that it’d even be too short for some adults. “Uhhhhhhhhh…… yeah no that is unacceptable,” one person commented, while another said: “My dude, where is her shirt?” Jacquelyn has yet to address viewers’ concerns While some users have expressed their concerns regarding Wren on TikTok, it appears Jacquelyn has deleted many of those comments. She also turned off comments on all of her videos at some point, but they are now on again. However, Jacquelyn hasn’t posted any new videos since March 2024. Although TikTok prohibits content that exploits minors on its platform, it doesn’t look like Wren’s account has faced any repercussions. Per the Community Guidelines, “Sexual exploitation of minors includes any abuse of a position of power or trust for sexual purposes, including profiting financially, socially, sexually, or politically from the exploitation of a minor.” Fans shocked as videos disappear from TikTok In July 2024, fans were shocked to find that all videos on Wren and Jacquelyn’s TikTok account had disappeared. Although it’s not been confirmed why, many fans believe Jacquelyn decided to have the videos removed after being urged to for years. People soon took to a subreddit to discuss why the videos might have disappeared. One person wrote: “If I had to guess, I think she may have temporarily privated the videos due to the amount of backlash she is getting, and is waiting to re-upload them once people start forgetting about her again.” A second person said: “Her insta has been private basically since this all happened. Also she deleted the videos a few weeks ago. she had all of those followers before she went private, so it makes complete sense.” Jacquelyn has yet to make a public comment about fans’ concerns or why all the videos disappeared. In a series of Tweets, Pilav revealed what got him banned from the platform which was met with a lot of people disagreeing with the call. “Reason: Wearing sexually suggestive attire, such as undergarments or intimate apparel,” pilav said. “I was BEGGING Blizzard for weeks now to give me Classic beta invite and finally tonight I got it and my genuine reaction was to jump around out of excitement and shorts slipped down a bit you could literally see half of my underpants and that’s about it no arse at all.” He later said that Twitch gave him a ban with an “indefinite” suspension length. That leaves the fate of his channel in question, as fans don’t know exactly when they can expect to watch Pilav go live again. WoW Classic streamer’s hearth teleport ends in absolute disaster A World of Warcraft Classic streamer faced a hilarious issue when he teleported back to a friendly town for safety but found himself in the midst of an enemy attack as soon as he arrived. Raiding enemy towns is one of the fun things that keeps World of Warcraft interesting; the anticipation of being attacked, or preparing an attack between you and your teammates, keeps the game interesting and fresh. But you might not know when this is going to happen, and sometimes you’re simply unprepared for what you’re about to face, as one streamer found out in a livestream on November 4. Playing in what appeared to be a very chilled environment and stream, AdvertiseSP decided to use a Hearthstone to teleport back to Kargath thanks to a suggestion from a viewer, with Advertise saying that there “might be more players at Kargath”. This turned out to be a huge understatement, as Advertise came face to face with way more players than he would’ve expected, as an enemy team was attacking the town, causing Advertise to burst out laughing and simply say “maybe hearthing into Kargath wasn’t a great idea.” He quickly teleported back out of Kargath to put himself in a more tranquil environment before finishing up the stream, saying “RIP Kargath, but it is time for bed now.” It’s fair to say that this is the last thing Advertise expected when he revisited Kargath, and may have been just enough to push him over the edge and turn the stream off – when it’s getting late anyway, a huge fight against an enemy team is the last thing you want to be doing. World of Warcraft saw a revival in August 2019 when Blizzard re-released it, and since then it has floated around the top of the Twitch charts thanks to its huge following and playerbase.

While grinding, questing, leveling and the like are gruelling as well as incredibly punishing, Jokerd managed to navigate through the gauntlet to reach level 60 in only three days and seven hours of play. The impressive feat gained instant notoriety among streamers, WoW players and the droves of newly introduced Twitch audiences. But being a no-cam streamer was starting to pique the interest of many fans. On his September 2 stream, Jokerd gave the people what they wanted when he turned on his camera square on his face for everyone to enjoy. “Are you ready chat?” Jokerd said before sitting on his chair with his full face graced the lower right portion of his stream. Previously there were a portion of viewers who were convinced that Jokerd was another streamer hiding behind the guise of a no-cam stream, but were in for a welcomed surprise with the face reveal. Viewers had encouraging messages like “Wtf actually handsome” and “Not a bad looking dude” to the streamer’s reveal. Averaging about 16,000 viewers at the time of this writing, Jokerd’s Twitch Chat were popping off after the face reveal. Considering how much the streamer’s popularity has boomed with WoW Classic, it’s only a matter of time until he ends up becoming a Twitch partner and can start making some money off his content. As Twitch broadcasters are starting to take their WoW Classic adventures off-stream, fans are noticing discrepancies in their levels from one VOD to the next. This might be the case for Jones and his his 400,00+ followers on Twitch. During his September 6 stream, Jones stepped into the world of Azeroth and mentioned how much he’s been loving WoW Classic. But his attempt to shut down trolls accusing him of account sharing didn’t go so well. “I’ve actually been playing off-stream,” Jones said. “Maybe I had an honorable friend help me out a little bit, but other than that I’ve been doing most of the work myself. Sometimes when I pass out, I’ll watch (my friend) play a little bit. It is what it is.” The popular streamer made sure to note his innocence due to the close proximity he maintains on the occasions when the friend is playing on his account: “But it’s not account sharing because I’m right next to him.” But then he made a hilarious blunder when explaining how it wouldn’t be such a big deal for Blizzard if they should find out. “You think Blizzard is going to come into my house be like ‘You can’t have him play while you’re sleeping,’” Jones said. “And I’ll be like ‘what do you mean, why not? It sounds like Jones is really enjoying his time with WoW Classic, so he might want to be more vigilant and make sure he’s the only one playing on his account.

Filling up your fountain drink is a pretty simple action that people apparently take for granted each day as Jokerd looked like he used one for the first time during his stream. While waiting for his order at a fast food restaurant, he took his empty cup over to the machine, but instead of using it normally, he sat the cut down under the spout and did it by hand. This method of filling his glass was quickly met with a ton of confusion as he poured root beer on his hand while figuring out what to do. When chat saw this going on, they quickly began mocking him by spamming question marks and emotes that let everyone know just how confused they were by what was transpiring. Lucky for everyone watching, Jokerd was able to get his cup filled up, even if it was through some strange method. It’s completely possible he was trolling everybody by doing what he did so that’s something to keep in mind if you don’t want to think about how someone could be so clueless on how to fill up a drink. It’s been a long journey for Jokerd and he’s actually exploded in popularity since August. Of course, that’s when World of Warcraft Classic burst onto the scene and he rose to fame by becoming the first player to reach level 60. After being blocked from deleting his character immediately after, he eventually did so and then did a face reveal. Now he’s taking this fame and doing IRL streams so he’s seemed to have done alright adjusting to it all so far. Hopefully, for viewers’ sake, he won’t be having any more blunders like this again.

The hype generated has made the release of the game one of the most successful launches of all time. According to a report by The Esports Observer, WoW Classic is on track to take over The International 2019 and post the most watched week during 2019 on Twitch. Ex-manager reveals horror stories from McDonald’s A few years later, a former manager for the McDonald’s held an AMA on Reddit where they revealed the most disturbing moments they experienced working at the store. “One night, not dissuaded by the locked doors, this guy and girl went the ‘dirty-divot’ (the nook right in front of the washrooms). Via the security camera, we noticed some unusual behavior,” they said. “At that moment, some random tried to enter the locked bathroom. After no success at opening the door, and completely ignoring the friendly couple, started to poop right on the floor right next to them At no point did either party acknowledge the other. All three finished at about the same time, and went their separate ways.” The madness didn’t stop there. According to the manager, they were even threatened one night for kicking a customer out after he assaulted a woman. “He told me he was going to wait for me to get off work and kill me, and proceeded to wait outside the store for two hours,” the manager revealed, adding that the police couldn’t do anything about it. “The guy came back the next day and apologized, to which I accepted. When asked about the news on his Twitch stream by a viewer, Ninja did not hold back on making his feelings clear about it. “So when you watch ten hours, or twenty hours of TV a week, is that a mental illness? Is that a disorder? I guess the world’s a little crazy. If you were to watch two to three hours of news a day, every day for the entire week, that’s more than ten hours. That’s more than ten hours a week – do you have a ‘watching the news mental disorder?’ Oh no, watching the news is all good.” He goes on to say that as long as parents effectively manage how their children spend their time and are achieving in other important areas, there should be no need for the classification of a disorder. “Everything can be addictive, you could be addicted to taking shits. The brain is so complex. Should kids be playing 50, 60 hours of video games every week? I don’t know are they getting straight A’s? If they’re doing well in school, in every aspect of their life – they’re coming for dinner saying Hi, doing their chores, and they come home and play video games all day with their friends after, are you really going to be mad about that? If they are failing, then it’s the parents job to limit what they’re doing, because of course at that point yeh it’s not good. That’s common sense, which 99% of parents don’t have.” The WHO classification seems to be concerned with those gamers who are in fact ‘failing’ in other aspects of life, be it school, work, social life or personal health. However, the escalation of this scenario to a mental disorder has angered many passionate gamers, who feel it stigmatizes individuals whose problem is not in fact video games, but who simply lack the ability to effectively balance their lives and need help with this. The problem, many gamers would argue, is not the video games, as many past times can be addictive or consuming as Ninja alludes to, but instead should be treated as a individual’s personal issue.

World Chess CEO reveals the most common ways players cheat in over the board tournaments HZ Toernooi/Tina RouwendalCheating in Chess has been a hot topic thanks to high-profile accusations from top players. Ilya Merenzon, the CEO of World Chess, explained to Dexerto the most common ways players cheat. Cheating in over-the-board chess is not as pervasive or crafty as some people may think. Following Magnus Carlsen’s accusations against Hans Niemann in 2022, multiple theories cropped up over how the young American could have cheated and not been detected. One of the more popular ones was that Niemann had an object inside his body that would vibrate to tell him what moves to play. In reality, cheating at the highest level of the game is rather simple, and often involves players sneaking a look at a phone. Merenzon, who helped put on the Clash of Blames event which included high-level anti-cheat provisions, laid out common ways players cheat, and how World Chess events keep their tournaments on lock. “Our range of measures includes evaluating radio signals, signaling from the audience, theft and even ensuring smartphones are not brought into the tournament,” Merenzon said. “A device such as a smartphone has more computing power than humans, so getting the phone into a tournament can give a player a huge advantage.” The most recent cheating scandal that rocked the chess world, which had conclusive evidence of cheating, happened at the 2024 Chicago Open. A player was caught using a phone in his lap while at the board to help him make moves. Other instances of proven cheating, like at the 2023 Romanian Championship and the 2019 case of Igors Rausis, involved players going to the bathroom during games to use their phones. While accusations of players gaining an illicit advantage in online chess have been thrown around at a high rate in recent years, examples of in-person cheating are fairly low. Merenzon said that his company has not had any cases of players cheating at World Chess tournaments. However, catching cheaters is not the only goal of anti-cheating measures. “The main goal is to make sure that players FEEL safe to play, because if the player is concerned about it, their play will be different and their focus can be impacted,” Merenzon said.

World of Warcraft and South Park cosplay legend Jarod Nandin passes away Phil HornshawJarod Nandin, who famously cosplayed the villainous high-level World of Warcraft player from one of South Park’s most iconic episodes, ‘Make Love Not Warcraft,’ has sadly passed away. Jarod Nandin was nothing short of a legend in the cosplay community. He made headlines everywhere back in 2013 when he cosplayed the high-level World of Warcraft player from South Park’s ‘Make Love Not Warcraft’ episode at Blizzcon. For those who can’t remember, the character was an obese and bald middle-aged man. He was supposed to represent a stereotypical PC gamer nerd who had no life outside World of Warcraft. Jarod’s cosplay was a surprise, and it was perfect. Jarod revealed his health had rapidly declined back on December 18, 2020. Sadly, it never improved and eventually claimed his life. His passing has left a hole in many people’s hearts, including presenter, podcast host, and video game journalist Michele Morrow. “Today, the Warcraft and greater Blizzard community lost one of its sweetest souls,” she said. “Jarod Nandin, also known as JarodNWBZPWNR, was best known [for] his famous Blizzcon cosplay “That Which Has No Life” from the South Park episode “Make Love Not Warcraft.” “Jarod had a fantastic sense of humor and was an advocate for cosplayers, body acceptance, and positivity,” she added. “I always enjoyed seeing him online and at conventions [throughout] the years. “He loved Overwatch and was a kickass gamer,” she said, which is something not a lot of people realized. “I saw him at Blizzcon nearly every year. Air Canada is on damage control after a Facebook post describing the disturbing conditions of a flight from Las Vegas to Montreal in late August. On August 29, Susan Benson posted a viral rant about Air Canada, explaining how on the prior flight, someone had vomited in the area and the seats were still wet by takeoff time. After airline staff “reluctantly” gave passengers vomit bags and blankets before the pilot came down to speak to the women and issue a warning. Air Canada apologizes for kicking women off flight over vomit-covered seats According to Benson, the pilot knelt next to the two ladies and explained that they had two choices, neither of which exactly pleasant. “They could leave the plane on their own accord and organize flights on their own dime, or they would be escorted off the plane by security and placed on a no fly list!” Benson explained. Eventually, other passengers joined in, with one identifying themselves as a police officer saying how they would never treat others that way. “The pilot got up and walked to the front of the plane. Next thing we know Security comes down the aisle and escorted the two ladies off the plane! For what? Refusing to sit in vomit for five hours! Air Canada literally expects passage to sit in vomit or be escorted off the plane and placed on a no-fly list!” the passenger exclaimed. It wasn’t long before Benson’s thread went viral across social media, resulting in Air Canada responding to the accusations. “Our operating procedures were not followed correctly in this instance,” the airline told CTV. “They clearly did not receive the standard of care to which they were entitled. Though, that doesn’t appear to be the case, and TikTokers are quite sure what to believe. TikToker baffles viewers after joking about marrying her stepdad The TikToker revealed the story on February 28, when she uploaded a clip of her and her partner getting married in Las Vegas. “Marrying my step dad was the best decision I’ve ever made,” Christy posted on-screen as the pair embraced, while also using the hashtag #MarryYourMomsEx to really hammer things home. However, while the clip has racked up around 20 million views and left countless TikTok users baffled, it appears to be a joke. Christy followed up with another post, claiming that the man in question was actually her brother’s best friend, and the pair had grown really close after her brother passed away. The video on TikTok which has since gone viral, accumulating over 1 million views, is from a woman named Emily, showcasing some of the meals she cooks for her husband. In the series of clips within the video, she displays some… unusual food combinations. She begins by introducing the meals she loved to make for “Her Man.” The dishes appear to get progressively stranger as the video goes on, starting with a fish sandwich with mushrooms. In the next clip, we see a regular hot dog in a bun, but paired with what seems to be boxed mac and cheese. She then shows another meal consisting of pizza, potatoes, and Cheetos, paired with an IPA. Another displays some kind of fried, breaded item with cranberry balls, and another shows Dino Nugget bolognese pasta with parmesan cheese.
