Netflix and Tyler Perry’s producers both allegedly reached out in hopes of making a documentary and capitalizing on the bizarre story, however, “then Hallmark swooped in and completely stole everything.” According to Hallmark Channel’s official site, their new film Holiday Road sees “Nine strangers, stranded at an airport during the holidays, unite for a Christmas road trip to Denver.” Sound familiar? One member of the original group certainly thinks so. Michelle, known as ‘thefarmbabe’ on TikTok, took to the social media platform to call out the television network, alleging they “ripped off” the idea without offering any compensation or credit. “We never did this for fame or fortune or whatever but I feel very violated,” Michelle said, stating that half the original group had been blocked by Hallmark’s Facebook account for speaking out. “I feel like exploited and taken advantage of. But TikToker Sofia Bella claims that she hit the motherload with her Target shopper, receiving over $200 in kitchen appliances instead of the $40 worth of “beauty blender” makeup supplies she ordered. TikToker claims Target substituted makeup supplies with actual blender Uploaded on February 15, Sofia’s video has been viewed nearly three million times with thousands of viewers flooding the comments with their thoughts. “There’s no way that this is real, okay? I just made a Target order. One of the things I ordered is two beauty blenders. Apparently, they were out of beauty blenders and my Target shopper thought they were blenders,” She explained while holding up two boxes. In each of the boxes is a Ninja brand blender, which according to the Target website goes for just over $100 each. If Sofia ordered Ulta brand beauty blenders, the total would have been roughly $20 a piece. The user shared a post to Mumsnet, detailing a recent unfortunate trip she had with her friend. “I’m just back from a vacation with a friend. We did 10 days at an all-inclusive resort in Spain. For the entire trip (pretty much from the beginning) I got the vibe she didn’t want to be there” she wrote. The beginning of a nightmare trip “She complained about the sun, heat, etc (it was Spain in July) and I understand that as it was hot of course. But she was annoyed when I wanted to enjoy some sun by the pool and read my books. So I offered to do stuff during the day and she’d snap and say no way how silly was that in the hottest part of the day etc.” She also described other trivial behaviors from her friend, like rolling her eyes after being asked to reciprocate rubbing sunscreen, complaining about the sun, and snapping at her friend when offered to do activities during the day. In addition, her friend insisted on sharing a room with her for costs and claimed that she didn’t snore. But according to the Mumsnet user, she snores “horribly loudly.” “She fell asleep instantly and snored with unbearable volume for the whole night. I was chronically sleep deprived and it was really frustrating after paying so much for the trip.” Despite trying her best to accommodate her travel companion, her friend was complaining about her to her mom, told her off for not liking big crowds, and snapped at her about a meal they had to split. The aftermath of the nightmare trip After the trip, they returned to the airport at 4 AM, four hours later than they were supposed to. Although she lived on the same route home as them, her friend’s mom did not offer her a ride home. “She had a lift home from the airport from her mom. The flight was very late (landed at 4 AM after a long delay). I waited with her in the terminal so she wouldn’t be standing alone.” she wrote. One user is going viral for discovering something shocking at her local Goodwill, an American chain of nonprofit thrift stores. TikToker and tattoo artist ‘Crypt’ was changing in the fitting room of a Goodwill store located in South Zanesville, Ohio when she noticed a security camera located just above her stall. She took a video showing that the camera could potentially see into the changing rooms, sparking alarm and outrage from commenters. “Care to explain?” Crypt wrote in the clip’s caption, tagging the establishment’s official TikTok handle. Her video has racked up over half a million views since being uploaded in December as more and more commenters weigh in on the situation. TikTok users outraged over “hidden camera” in Goodwill changing room “I wouldn’t be going there anymore and turn it into the police,” one user wrote. “Keep an eye open for any other stores doing it.” “That’s illegal,” another said. However, other commenters argued that the camera was likely not looking directly into the stalls but rather away from it toward the door leading out into the rest of the store. “As a former security tech, I can say it probably doesn’t,” another user explained. “It may not even be pointed at the changing room. The frustrated TikToker then filmed the bar, and continued to complain that the establishment cut her real ID in half. According to the video caption, the bar is Mother’s Tavern in San Luis Obispo, Calif. In a follow-up video, Kristen said that the bouncer stamped her and her friends on the wrist and admitted them without any problems. After a few hours, however, they decided to leave to check out other bars. When they returned to Mother’s Tavern because Kristen wanted to use the bathroom, the same bouncer asked to see her stamped wrist. The 23-year-old claimed he gave her a “funny look” after she showed it to him. The bouncer then asked to see her ID, which he also gave a “funny look, before telling the TikToker he needed to keep it while she used the restroom. “I was really confused. I’ve never heard of a bouncer doing that,” Kristen said. “I had to pee really bad, so I said, ‘Okay, no problem, you can hold my ID.’” Kristen said when she returned, another bouncer was at the door while the bouncer who took her ID was “nowhere to be found.” She continued the story in another video, saying she found out from the new bouncer that the previous one was at “the other end of the bar.” As Kristen approached the original one, he handed her the torn ID and claimed it was fake. The TikToker doesn’t know why he thought it was fake. The only explanation she could come up with was that he may never have seen a vertical ID before. Kristen went to the police department the next day to make a report against the bar. She was informed that she’d have to file the report against the bartender rather than the establishment. The content creator explained that she’s upset because she’s on holiday and her only form of identification had been destroyed. As she has to drive home, Kristen hopes she does not get pulled over on the way.

When it was furnished, they called Felicia over to deliver the good news. Felicia was understandably almost speechless. “Wait a minute, wait a minute,” she said. “I don’t even believe it. Fortunately, the TikToker managed to call and Uber and make it in time for her friend’s wedding reception, although she ended up missing the entrance and speeches. The post was made on April 4, on the Tulsa Police Department’s Facebook page. The opener reads, “STOLEN SUV ARREST — Woman claims she received the stolen SUV as a birthday tip from a Waffle House customer.” The whole thing took place on April fools, but it’s not a joke. The Tulsa Police department gave a breakdown of the events, stating: “On 4/1/2024 around 3:55 p.m, the Tulsa Police Department’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) received an alert from a Flock Safety Camera about a stolen white Jeep Liberty at Admiral and Darlington. “The RTIC continued to track the stolen Jeep until Officers could initiate a traffic stop near Admiral and Sheridan.” Once they tracked down the woman, however, she gave a wholly unexpected report to the police: “The driver of the vehicle, Angela Harrison, claimed she was at a gas station just an hour before. Ms. Harrison said she ran into a former customer of hers when she worked at Waffle House, and he gave her $10 cash and the white Jeep Liberty because her 53rd birthday was coming up in a few weeks. “The Jeep, however, was reported stolen before Christmas, and Detectives had already obtained a surveillance photo of Angela Harrison in the vehicle from January 14th. Woman arrested after being accused of killing husband on Facebook Live Lowndes County, MS Sheriff’s OfficeA woman has been accused of murdering her husband while streaming it on Facebook Live, according to a statement made by her local Sheriff’s office. At 7.42 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023, deputies from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi responded to a domestic violence call, arresting 28-year-old Kadejah Michelle Brown, charging her with murder after a shooting during which one male victim was killed. According to a Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office, a 28-year-old male victim died from a single gunshot wound. The pair were reportedly involved in an altercation before the shooting took place, with the whole thing being streamed on Facebook Live. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and a 9 mm handgun was recovered “along with other physical evidence.” Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said the following: “There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim. This was a tragic and senseless murder and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. Fortunately, Brown is in custody and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable.” The incident remains under investigation, with no bond set at the time of writing. This comes just weeks after a YouTuber reportedly faked a Grand Theft Auto livestream to have an alibi while he murdered a pregnant woman. In that case, the man in question, Stephen McCullagh, admitted that the stream hadn’t been recorded the night of the incident, though his trial is still “some months away” at the time of writing.

He uploaded videos and commentaries to YouTube that regularly raked in hundreds of thousands of views during the franchise’s most successful time, playing games like Black Ops 1 and Modern Warfare 2. The American has since left YouTube to stream on Twitch, but has become well known for arguing with players and viewers alike during his broadcasts, and recently demanded that his audience donate money to him if they wanted to see him continue to play Modern Warfare on stream. On February 5, the streamer declared that viewers would need to pay him $10 in donations every hour if they wanted to see him continue to play the latest Call of Duty title. He claimed that his teammates were stopping him from earning a living from the game because they weren’t playing well, while also complaining about the enemy squad who were throwing smoke grenades. Less than a week later, the streamer once again went live on Twitch on February 10, this time playing Rainbow Six Siege, when a viewer asked the streamer how much it would cost to keep his stream online as he was enjoying watching it. “I’d like you to stream another hour, is $10 the going rate?” read WingsOfRedemption from his chat. “Again, if you want an actual going rate, it’s like $25. I was being nice with the $10-an-hour. The Willy Wonka experience was widely slammed for false advertising, with The Guardian reporting that the experience consisted of a” sparsely decorated warehouse with a scattering of plastic props, a small bouncy castle, and some backdrops pinned against the walls.” The event quickly went viral on Twitter, with many people commenting on the lackluster props and the AI-generated storyline. It also emerged that Coull was the publisher of 16 AI-generated books, which he sold on Amazon last summer. In an interview with Channel 5 as part of their documentary on the event, Coull said that his life was “ruined” by backlash to it. “I have lost my friends. I’ve lost the love of my life. I was made out to be the face of all evil. And genuinely, that’s really not the case.” He also claimed that the original event was planned within a smaller venue and needed projection equipment which never arrived. “”I was sick to the pit of my tummy. I was hoping for an event that would be joyful, happy. I wanted people to experience happiness.” Coull also said he received hundreds of hate-filled messages after the event went viral, and that “the last thing I wanted to see was children to be upset.”

The Wave House mansion isn’t just impressive inside, it has quite a few orchards, multiple gardens scattered in every cardinal direction, pools laced throughout, and a lot of shrubbery to compliment the main compound. Inside, WillNE found that it was all business among the collective of TikTokkers. The house members plan, execute, and film proper content for their channels within the house, using the settings within the perimeter as a perfect backdrop. He found a fully-furnished gym, multiple dressing rooms, decorative bathrooms with perfect for a dip in the standalone tubs, big screen TVs reaching to 100in frames, an indoor hot tub, a study, and more. There’s a lot to admire from the mansion’s build, but WillNE also got a first-hand impression of how the team uses these locations to create their viral videos. Dressing up in military uniforms, the Wave House went all-in to give him the perfect introduction as a Wave House member, complete with the eerie spiked mask that serves as an initiation of sorts for new members. While there are people inside of the house that aren’t sure of the monthly costs to live there, Yoke management foots the bill for the country home for the influencers to churn out content. It’s unclear if WillNE will be back to the Wave House to create more videos, but he seemed overall impressed at what he found after visiting the mansion.

On June 28, FCC commissioner Brendan Carr addressed a letter to Apple and Google CEOs Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai in which he called for the removal of TikTok from their app stores, following an “alarming new report” from BuzzFeed which claimed the app “collects vast troves of sensitive data about U.S. users” which was then accessed by officials in Beijing. “It is clear that TikTok poses an unacceptable national security risk due to its extensive data being combined with Beijing’s apparently unchecked access to that data,” he wrote. “But it is also clear that TikTok’s pattern of conduct and misrepresentations regarding the unfettered access that persons in Beijing have to sensitive U.S. user data … puts it out of compliance with policies that both of your companies require every app to adhere to as a condition of remaining available on your app stores.” TikTok is not just another video app. That’s the sheep’s clothing.It harvests swaths of sensitive data that new reports show are being accessed in Beijing. However, we will have to wait for a response from Apple and Google before we know whether they have any plans to remove it. According to Reuters, in a previous response to security concerns, TikTok conceded that China-based employees “can have access to TikTok U.S. user data subject to a series of robust cybersecurity controls and authorization approval protocols overseen by our U.S.-based security team.” However, they also said they expected “to delete U.S. users’ protected data from our own systems and fully pivot to Oracle cloud servers located in the U.S.” This isn’t the first time TikTok has been in danger of being removed. In 2020, the US attempted to ban the app with an executive order, however, the planned ban for the platform was eventually blocked by a federal judge.

With two of YouTube’s biggest stars in town, it’s no surprise that WillNE and girlfriend Mia were invited to enjoy an evening, but as the Newcastle-born creator revealed, things didn’t go as he had planned. With the pair directed to the middle portion of the crowd, sitting directly in front of stage, it was almost impossible for Ko and Miller to miss what was going on when the YouTuber suffered from a seizure after fainting during the performance. “I saw Tiny Meat Gang the other week,” Lenney explained in his latest episode of ‘This Week on the Internet’. “I went to Cody and Noel’s show, and I had a seizure.” Using clips from the Tiny Meat Gang Podcast and Simon ‘Miniminter’ Minter’s What’s Good? show, Will gave fans a glimpse at what happened at the event in London. According to their reports, Cody originally thought that Will had been involved in a fight and that someone was pulling his head back, calling into the crowd. He quickly realized that it was a seizure, and after the YouTuber came to and recovered, he was taken backstage to relax after his traumatic ordeal. As to why it happened, WillNE explained: “I don’t think I’ve actually talked about it on this channel before, but I’ve got a condition where I faint at [the sight of] blood. How it works, basically, is if I get stuck somewhere like a cinema, or it used to be bad in a classroom, and someone starts talking or showing gory stuff, I’m gone. I can feel it building up, and then it’s lights out.” (Clip starts at 9:19 for mobile users) The 23-year-old went on to reveal that Noel Miller was talking about an operation at the moment he fainted and that before last year this issue hadn’t raised its head “in ages,” saying that he’s been ringside at boxing matches and “brutal” UFC cards and been fine, but Noel discussing medical procedures was too much for him, and out he went. To make things worse, when he came back around, Cody Ko recognized him, with the Brit joking: “What a first impression!” Thankfully, WillNE was fine and went backstage for a little bit before going home to recover. The YouTuber has taken the ordeal in good spirits, laughing it off, but it’s unlikely that Cody Ko and Noel Miller will ever forget the first time they met him.

PewDiePie’s ongoing battle with T-Series to hold on to the number one spot on YouTube is coming down to the wire – but could a campaign at the Super Bowl be enough to keep him in front? The Swedish YouTuber is currently only just over 40,000 subscribers ahead of the Indian production company, as both channels approach the 84 million mark. With such a slender lead, and T-Series gaining on him everyday, it is expected that PewDiePie will eventually be consigned to second place. However, there is speculation that PewDiePie’s channel will in some way be promoted at the Super Bowl on February 3, which could be the extra push he needs. Speculation began after YouTuber Mr Beast, who has been the frontrunner in helping PewDiePie stay on top, teased something potentially PewDiePie-related in a since deleted tweet. Over the last few years, TikTok has become a huge part of many social media users’ daily routine and has even influenced change on a number of different platforms as well. However, despite the success, the short-form video platform has come under plenty of fire. That has been especially prevalent in the United States, as a number of states have banned the use of the app on government-linked devices and in federal buildings. This is due to cybersecurity fears as TikTok is owned by Chinese company ByteDance. There hasn’t been a nationwide ban in the States, but there have been plenty of rumors on TikTok that the app is going away. Now that the UK is also considering its security position on the app, they are sure to pop up again. Has TikTok been banned in the UK? As it stands, no, the United Kingdom has not banned the use of TikTok, nor is it forbidden to have the app on your phone and use it. Like the United States, the government is looking into the app, and could be considering a similar ban on it for government-linked devices. Cybersecurity experts have been drafted in to take a look at TikTok. As per a BBC report, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said: “We take the security of devices seriously and we look also at what our allies are doing.” Though, no action has been taken just yet. So, if you see any claims on TikTok that you can’t use the app in the UK, don’t worry, that’s not the case yet – and it remains to be seen if actually ever will be. MrBeast has become a name synonymous with YouTube in recent years. The cashed-up content creator has taken ‘giving’ to the next level, handing out $100k for gaming challenges, and paying fans to try his new burgers. His rise on the platform has been meteoric in recent years. Donaldson really hit the big time in 2017, and has since flown to nearly 60 million followers across two channels in the last three years. But is there an end of the YouTube road in sight for MrBeast? Well, “definitely not,” says the content creator. The internet celebrity has been uploading to YouTube for just over eight years now, and plans on being around for another ten “at least.” As long as YouTube stays big, he added, he’ll stick around making videos for his tens of millions of loyal fans. “I think YouTube will still be massive in a decade… I’m never taking my foot off the gas,” the YouTube superstar said during a Twitter Q&A on Dec. 29. “Take my current projections, then apply them over 10 years. That’s what I think I’ll hit.” It certainly makes sense too. The YouTuber has gone on the record in the past saying he loves what he does — “I want to do this until the day I die,” he said back in Nov. 2019 — and that doesn’t seem to have changed at all in 2020 either. The genre has become so popular overseas, that many of these popular artists have featured on huge mainstream talk shows, and have sold out huge arenas across the globe, proving just how much of a market there is for this popular style of music. While most of the most popular songs are available for free to stream on platforms like YouTube, naturally many fans want the experience of listening to their favorite groups and songs ad-free from music streaming services. Up until recently, they were able to do this through Spotify, which hosted many of the most popular K-pop artists’ songs so that fans could easily listen to them. However, now that Spotify’s licensing deal with huge South Korean music distributor Kakao M has come to an end, hundreds of songs from popular artists like IU and Epik High have been removed from Spotify, leaving fans and artists frustrated. Bellator president encourages YouTubers to switch Instagram: Jake PaulBellator President Scott Coker has encouraged brothers Jake and Logan Paul to come to the mixed martial arts company, stating that it would be “a lot of fun”. Jake and Logan Paul’s incredibly successful transition from YouTube content creation to boxing has been a surprise for many fans of the sport, and of the brothers. They have been involved in a number of lucrative fights, with Logan’s recent bout with Floyd Mayweather thought to have paid the undefeated boxing legend $100m. Naturally, there is interest in the brothers from fighters and fighting companies alike. Boxing great Mike Tyson signalled his interest in a fight with Logan, and Bellator President Scott Coker has now encouraged both brothers to sign for his MMA company. Speaking on talk show The MMA Hour, Coker encouraged the brothers to join: “They’re hard workers, they’re grinding out their camps, doing what they do—both the brothers—and they’re getting better. These guys are getting better and better and better. Don’t underestimate these kids fighting ability because they’re putting in the work. My view of the whole thing is if they would ever want to come into MMA, we’d love to have them in Bellator.” Bellator is one of the largest fighting networks in the world, comparable in MMA to Dana White’s UFC. While the Paul brothers have both flirted with the idea of going to MMA fights, rather than traditional boxing, neither have made their way into a cage yet. The Grand Theft Auto RP [roleplaying] craze has spread across Twitch like wildfire and many streamers have abandoned the games fans are used to seeing them play to get involved. One example of this is Summit1g, who is very much enjoying himself on the game since switching from Apex Legends and Sea of Thieves. GTA RP is a multiplayer mod that allows players to carve out their own path and story in the game, interacting with other players and NPCs. On May 14, eighteen content creators gathered together at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida for a combat sports extravaganza that would change the landscape of influencer boxing in a huge way. The event, called ‘Creator Clash,’ is the first of its kind in that it placed an express emphasis on charity, with all proceeds benefiting organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association of America and more. That’s not all; Creator Clash also boasted a stacked fight card filled with unconventional matchups. You could go so high in skill level, and MMA is just like another added layer of complexity.” “I don’t know how feasible it is, because it’s all gonna be super amateurish. I don’t know how it would go in something like that. Who knows? It could go in that direction. It could go in even weirder directions. We’re trying to keep the options open.” “It’s all a possibility right now. We haven’t for sure decided anything. The Doc has been missing on Twitch since June 11, when he entered the men’s bathroom at E3 2019 on a number of occasions while taking part in an IRL broadcast from the gaming convention. The leader of the Champions Club had his Twitch channel banned, and ever since that fateful day fans have been pining for the return of their favorite streamer to the platform. Thankfully for those who miss “The Two-Time,” Dr Disrespect uploaded a teaser to Twitter on June 27, revealing that he intended to return on July 8, appearing to make a call to Dan the Body to tell him that he was base jumping off of the Empire State Building in New York City. With Dan the Body repeating The Doc’s apparent actions, many believe that it may have been a hint that he plans to perform some sort of base jump on his return to streaming, and that he got in contact with Dan the Body, who is the real-life security guard for band Avenged Sevenfold, because he intends to do another IRL broadcast on his first day back. This would make sense, as Dan the Body’s first appearance was as part of Dr Disrespect’s E3 stream, and was never part of his regular gaming streams, so the fact that The Doc was getting in contact with him could be a major hint. Fans of the Twitch personality were quick to speculate on the possibility, with one stating that it would make The Doc “The two-time IRL streamer,” while another commented that they enjoyed his “deadpan persona,” and that he was “built for IRL streaming.” While Doc’s ban has officially expired, fans will have to wait another full week before they can hop back in and enjoy The Doc, with July 8 his scheduled return to the platform.

In an appearance on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast, Rogan made the case for McGregor to take a fight against someone a bit less than championship material in his UFC return. He’s fought Logan Paul twice – once as an amateur and another as a fully-fledged professional – drawing in millions from ticket sales and pay-per-view buys across both bouts. Yet, he now looks to be on a collision course with Logan’s brother Jake after he managed to style his way to a first-round knockout victory over AnEsonGib in Miami, Florida. Even though the pair haven’t come to blows yet, they have been intertwined during their respective boxing bouts. Jake initially fought KSI’s brother Deji before becoming Logan’s hype man for the second bout. After KSI took down Logan, Jake has seemingly been hell-bent on taking revenge. He’s talked a few times about getting into the ring with JJ and, prior to defeating Gib, the Paul brothers claimed that he has to do everything possible to beat KSI – simply to put some pride back on the family name. In the immediate future, they have events lined up for Frisco and Manchester but they are both filled out and would come too soon for Jake and KSI. There would have to be some consideration about the audience, too, taking into consideration what would be best to maximize viewers, ticket sales, as well as pay-per-view buys. That could very well be on the east coast of the USA – tossing up classic boxing towns like New York, Philadelphia, or even slightly more midwest with Chicago. Seeing the waves that the pair have made in getting YouTubers into professional boxing, it’s probably best to not doubt them and to just wait and see what comes next in terms of actually fighting. We spoke to the streamer about the prospect of moving, and if YouTube could be real competition for Twitch. 2022 has been quite the year for YouTube Gaming. Having acquired Twitch titans DrLupo, TimTheTatman, and Ludwig, the platform seems intent on knocking Amazon’s streaming service off of its throne. While fellow streaming star, Asmongold, has admitted that prominent streamers switching to YouTube is a “real shakeup,” the MMO star seems pretty content streaming on either his main Twitch channel or second channel, zackrawrr. Discussing the YouTube/Twitch saga in an interview with Dexerto, Asmon explains where it’s all gone right for YouTube and, in turn, whether or not he’s ever been tempted to join his colleagues. Asmongold on YouTube/Twitch debate Casting his mind back to the days of Mixer, Asmon draws parallels between today’s streaming platforms and the platforms of old. “The mistake Mixer made is that they only brought shroud and Ninja onto the platform, and I think YouTube is actually making a much better inroad into creating a streaming community. This is one of the weaknesses that Mixer had. “If you look at the streaming ecosystem as a wildlife ecosystem, you can’t just transplant the biggest tree inside of a forest into a random desert and expect the tree to be able to grow. You need the shrubs, you need the birds, you need the squirrels, you need the grass, you need the roots, you need the fungus – you need everything in order for that existence to happen. What Mixer did is they took two gigantic trees. “It took Ninja and it took shroud and it transplanted them over to Mixer, and because they didn’t have an ecosystem around them to refill the viewership they would inevitably lose due to the churn of people watching streams and then choosing not to, what happens is that the channel slowly declines and the platform loses relevancy, and it creates a public conception that moving over to the platform is unhealthy for your stream.” Comparing the site to YouTube, he notes that “YouTube has brought over Dr Disrespect – Doc plays with Tim[TheTatman], Tim plays with DrLupo, and DrLupo plays with CouRage, then CouRage plays with Doc. All four of them play together, and what that creates is cross-pollination. It creates a way for those creators to refill each others’ audiences, and to collaborate and create content together.” Recalling a series of statistics that claim “for every view Twitch gets YouTube gets 200,” he notes that Twitch’s relevancy is dependent on its community. “The community for Twitch is something that is very special in very good (and very bad) ways. You see so many people that want to stay on Twitch because of the emotes, the culture, and the community. As soon as YouTube is able to capture that and really build that community on their website instead, that’s when you’ll really see a competition.” Concluding that “whenever I would really say that YouTube would be a legitimate competitor for Twitch is when people move over to the platform without a one million dollar contract.” Will Asmongold leave Twitch for YouTube? Of course, that immediately begs the question: will Asmongold ever swap to YouTube? “How many million?” he laughs, before noting that “hey, y’know, we’ll see what happens! I get more views on YouTube than I do on Twitch, honestly.” “Would I be opposed to moving over to YouTube completely?” he asks. “No, absolutely not. I like YouTube a lot, I’ve uploaded on YouTube since 2008 – I was still in high school. I’ve always loved YouTube, and I love Twitch too, I like Twitch in a lot of ways. I do think there are elements of the Twitch community that are reductive, and are more reluctant to change, and do actively suppress growth on the platform. “Would I go over to YouTube tomorrow or something? No, probably not. But it’s something I’d have to really think about a lot. It’s not something I’m really soliciting, that much, but I always leave myself open for options.” Whether or not we’ll see AsmonTube in the future remains a mystery, but clearly the streamer believes that the platform is on the rise and looking to conquer 2022 just as it did 2021.

We’ve seen Spring Break shenanigans take over the net before, with wrestling matches breaking out between party goers, but nothing quite like this. The footage, posted to the X account FightMate and then CatchUpFeed has gone viral, showing the moment multiple women collided in an intense melee. Intense Florida beach brawl goes viral The fight began with two women, one black-haired and one pink-haired, rushing at another with fists raised. It wasn’t long before strangers tried to restrain the fighters, but there weren’t enough of them, allowing one of the combatants to fire away shot after shot, forcing one of the mediators to let go and keep the battle waging. While all this was going on, a group of spectators showed up to watch the fight unfold and encircled the girls in a wall of death as they fought on, whipping off opponents’ wigs in the process. Eventually, “referees” tried to break up the scramble once more, only for the brawl to continue with the girls now out of the circle and continuing to throw haymakers. Unfortunately, the video ends before a clear winner can be determined. “Spring Break in Florida is Wild,” FightMate captioned the video, which has since amassed over 750K views via CatchUpFeed. “Why are they fighting anyway? It’s supposed to be a vacation,” one viewer asked. “Grand Theft Auto 6 teaser,” another joked, referencing the upcoming game. There’s currently no word on if any of the fighters were charged or what started the brawl, but it’s unlikely this will be the last bash on the beach we see during Spring Break season.

TikTok already features a wide range of incredible filters and effects that users can rely on to enhance their videos. Some of the more interesting filters add things like color overlays, time warp scans, shimmery effects, and green screen effects. But new and exciting additions regularly enter the mix, opening the door for creators to experiment with even more editing options. And one filter, in particular, managed to bring the vast expanse of space to TikTok. TikTok users are wowed by the new planet filter TikToker ty_lyfe recently shared a video of the planet filter in action and it’s pretty impressive. The clip begins right before the user opens their backdoor. As soon as the door opens, viewers are met with a star-filled sky and the planet Jupiter spinning towards the screen. Asteroids and the Earth’s moon hover nearby as well, further amplifying the effects of the filter. Ty_lyfe is not a fan of the filter, saying the design “f**cked [them] up” because it “looks so real.” Countless other TikTokers seem to be enjoying it, however. Notably, videos featuring TikTok’s planet filter have garnered nearly 14 million views at the time of writing. Some creators, such as itsofficialken consider it the platform’s “best filter” to date. But ty_lyfe isn’t alone in finding the filter a little too scary for their liking. Beawilderment‘s planet filter video, which features a “HELP” caption, shows them closing a window curtain to hide the effect, only for Jupiter to have drawn even closer once the curtain is pulled back again. The ex-roommate of a Victoria’s Secret model took to TikTok to allege that the model had some fairly disturbing habits. Though Taylor, the roommate, did not disclose the name of the model, viewers of her viral TikTok have ideas of who it could be, resulting in “poopgate” trending on the app. However, there are also viewers debating whether or not Taylor’s story is real. Though she goes into full detail about living with the model, could it be true? Victoria’s Secret model allegedly kept used tampons in a suitcase Taylor began explaining in her TikTok, “I lived with a Victoria’s Secret model who had a secret — and I kept it for 10 years.” Taylor went on to say that she, the model, and a group of other models lived together in an NYC apartment when she made volatile discoveries about the unnamed model. After the model took Taylor’s shirt and lied about stealing it while she was wearing it, Taylor took it upon herself to go through the model’s belongings. Not only did she find stolen items from their other roommates, but she also found used tampons, dirty napkins, and worst of all, poop-stained toilet paper. Viewers of the story have since reacted by comparing his escape plan to a scene in GTA and other comical scenarios. Viewers call police chase “swiss cheese defense” It was like any other day at the Whataburger in Dallas, Texas. That was until a shirtless man decided to cause a scene within the perimeter of the restaurant. In a video-gone-viral, the man can be seen jumping from the roof of Whataburger. As he landed on top of a parked vehicle, the man was surrounded by a large group of officers and firemen. Though he was outnumbered, the man managed to run a great distance without getting caught and subdued. Mayweather and Paul have history, with Jake’s brother Logan fighting Floyd last year. The two have had some back and forth since with Floyd even going on record saying that he would consider fighting Jake if it wasn’t for their differing weight classes. This culminated in a verbal clash last month where Jake accused Mayweather and his entourage of “50 dudes,” of targeting him outside of the Miami-Dade Arena. At the time we only got Floyd’s viewpoint but new revealing police footage tells a different story. Police prevented a brawl from breaking out The Police footage obtained by TMZ shows Jake Paul’s perspective of the Floyd Mayweather confrontation. After Jake fled the scene several of the men accompanying Mayweather chased after him. In response, multiple police officers tried to block off the men whilst repeatedly yelling “Get back!” Some of the men pushed past the officer in pursuit of Paul but one cop ran ahead of them to safely escort Jake to the closest building. The Officer then blocked off the entrance and informed the other nearby officers that the social media star was the “reason for the commotion.” While seemingly dangerous, the truth of the matter is that the altercation was just a PR Stunt, as confirmed by Jake speaking with Wade Plem. Both Paul and Floyd Mayweather had spoken beforehand about setting up the confrontation to create a viral clip. Even so, none of the involved officers would have been aware of this. The cop that recorded the footage put himself between Paul and the large group of men believing that the situation could have escalated. Jake Paul has since moved on from the alteration and is now looking ahead to his upcoming fight with Nate Diaz.

WilburSoot removes Ghostbur from Minecraft DSMP On August 3, TommyInnit joined Wilbur for one final Minecraft livestream playing as their characters in DSMP. As usual, the two got into various small spats throughout the livestream as they continued developing their new island. Until Wilbur announced that it was time for him to leave and he began to row away in a boat across the water. Although he initially refused to tell Tommy where he was going, he finally admitted that he was actually from Utah USA, much to his friend’s amazement, and that he was returning to his homeland. Without fail, they would find the same comment, or closely structured ones, on uploads made by an account called ‘logan.’ “Thousands of people have lost their entire channels from this one, innocent comment,” Evanz said. “And it’s one of the largest security breaches I’ve seen YouTube go through.” The prevailing theory suggests that the person behind logan, as well as suspicious alternate names such as ‘Triby’ or ‘Sounds,’ just to name a few, figured out a way to somehow gain enough access to other people’s YouTube accounts to simulate organic channel growth. “If you look at his first few videos, you’ll see his Comments [section is] just nothing,” Evanz explained. “Things people would literally never comment… Yeah, the real way he grew his channel so large was using bots. They’re all bots, but bots using real accounts. (Segment starts at 7:35) Dr Disrespect moves to YouTube Dr Disrespect confirms reason behind Twitch ban On June 25, 2024, Dr Disrespect confirmed that the reason for his Twitch ban was a result of him sending DMs to a minor through Twitch whispers, and that the ban served in 2020 was a result of those actions. “Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not,” Doc claimed. “These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more.” He’d go on to confirm that this is why Twitch banned him in 2020 and that he plans to return to streaming, though he hasn’t revealed when he’ll be coming back. Back in 2017, Dr Disrespect infamously broke character to reveal that he’d been unfaithful to his wife and would be taking time off. It’s not clear yet if the two incidents are related. Midnight Society, the game studio Dr Disrespect co-founded, chose to cut ties with him over this information. Robert Bowling, one of the founders, called out the Doc directly in the wake of this information being made public. “If you inappropriately message a minor. I can not work with you. Period. I promised to only act on facts, and I did.” Streamers who were close with Dr Disrespect like NICKMERCS and TimTheTatMan have also spoken out against Beahm’s actions in their own response videos. Nick labelled his actions “inexcusable and unacceptable,” while Tim said he “could not support” Dr Disrespect if he sent those messages knowing he was talking to a minor. Dr Disrespect accuses Twitch staff of scheming to ban him On September 6, 2024, Dr Disrespect went live for the first time in two months to address the situation. In his return stream, he accused former Twitch employees of colluding to get him removed from the platform, specifically calling out Cody Conners and his previous partner manager. “Apparently, Twitch’s disgruntled employees didn’t feel the need to abide by those obligations,” he said. “Cody Conners, ex-Twitch employee, wasn’t even involved in leaking Twitch’s reported reason. Years later. Cody, why do this? What was the point? This was settled professionally. And you, knowing how black and white the internet is, you decided, you f*king rat, you reported the f*king reason Twitch banned me.” The streamer went on to claim that his partner manager had allegedly urged the individual he’d messaged to report their conversation to Twitch, and supposedly escalated the matter to Twitch’s Law Enforcement Response team despite their refusal. According to the Doc, his partner manager “cherry-picked” out-of-context excerpts from their Whispers and shared them with an LER Director, didn’t have access to the files at that time, as they were on vacation during the ordeal. Doc also denied having sent sexual messages to the person in question, instead claiming their conversation was merely “banter” and jokes taken out of context. Additionally, he claimed that a judge in the case did not find the messages to be “illegal.” Although he claimed that he had “more to disclose,” he said he would no longer address the situation and would reapply for partnership with YouTube on September 25. Until that time, he will stream on the platform as normal. Streamers remain unmoved by Dr Disrespect’s Twitch tirade It wasn’t long before other streamers weighed in with their reactions to Dr Disrespect’s story… and many of them weren’t convinced by what he had to say. Names like Adin Ross, for instance, doubled down and called the streamer a “f*cking pedophile,” while xQc called into question the Doc’s explanation of events. “Twitch banned one of their biggest money cows they could ever get, one of their biggest icons, money-making machines, the poster boy for their company – banned him outright for ‘not’ sexting a ‘not’ minor. Although TikTok is most famous for its dance videos, which users try to recreate in all manner of ways to capitalize off of ever-emerging trends, some challenges on the app are tasking creators with more than busting a move. In fact, a recently-emerging trend on the application is raising some eyebrows, popularly dubbed the “Nutmeg Challenge.” This trend tasks users with mixing the spice in water, generally 3-4 tablespoons, and has been reported by TikTokkers to have “trippy” effects, with many users reporting hallucinations and the feeling of being “high.” As it turns out, copious amounts of nutmeg can induce these symptoms, causing “tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, agitation, and hallucinations,” as reported by a study from The Netherlands Journal of Medicine. Despite having been a popular drug choice from as far back as the Crusades and even the 70’s hippie movement, consuming too much of the spice can be dangerous, with reports stating that the chemical myristicin found in nutmeg can even cause organ failure. Nutmeg overdose has also been linked to death when taken with other drug combinations, with just 2 teaspoons of the spice being enough to induce myristicin’s hallucinogenic effects, as reported by studies from the Illinois Poison Center. This isn’t the first dangerous trend to have made a home for itself on TikTok, either, with “the outlet challenge” also gaining popularity in the past, requiring users to drop quarters onto exposed prongs of a charger halfway plugged into a wall outlet. With other internet-wide challenges also taking hold of the public consciousness, like the Tide Pod challenge or the Birdbox Challenge, it comes as little surprise that the most recent Nutmeg Challenge has also become popular in light of current world events cooping everyone up inside. Considering its potentially deadly effects, it’s just not a good idea to “trip” on nutmeg — no matter how bored you are at home.

Trisha Paytas is a longtime creator on YouTube, uploading her first video back in 2007, and is known for her candid content in which she discusses her sex life, her personal relationships, and the issues she has with her peers on the site. Since August, the 31-year-old has been in a public spat with the ‘Vlog Squad’ and its leader David Dobrik, claiming that he “ruined her life,” after the group severed ties with her entirely in the aftermath of her break up with member Jason Nash. 600Paytas was a guest on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast, where she took shots at Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and Jake Paul, but in an episode of his “Night Shift” show, Majlak revealed that a lot of what she said about the Vlog Squad had to be cut before it was released. “We put out the Trisha Paytas episode of Impaulsive last week,” the 34-year-old stated. “I’ll be honest, we had to cut a lot of shit out of that one. “There was a lot of back-and-forth with her ex-team, the Vlog Squad, that, unfortunately, didn’t make the cut. I think we try really hard to keep everything in these episodes, but when there are any kinds of crazy allegations or stuff that we don’t see there being evidence to support, we cut that stuff out, and this was one of those episodes.” Majlak refrained from revealing what allegations and claims Paytas made during her appearance on the podcast, but the fact that they couldn’t be backed up to the hosts was enough to convince them that they shouldn’t be broadcast on their platform. In a video uploaded to her channel, Paytas states that she discussed her relationship with Nash and her overall problems with the group, but refrained from going into details about what specifically was cut from the final version of the video. Logan Paul himself has refrained from commenting publically on the allegations that were cut from Paytas’ appearance on his Impaulsive podcast. The Vlog Squad are one of the most popular content creation groups on the platform, fronted by David Dobrik and made up of a number of popular YouTubers and former Viners like Scotty Sire, Gabbie Hanna, Josh Pec, Jason Nash, and Corinna Kopf. The group often appear in each other’s videos, creating vlogs, podcasts, and comedy skits across the site. Dobrik has amassed over 13 million subscribers, with his videos regularly hitting 10 million views, making him one of the largest stars on the Google-owned platform in 2019.

Joshua is in critical condition in hospital and the family has created a GoFundMe to pay for his medical bills. This isn’t the first time the trend has had serious consequences. In January, a 9-year-old boy’s death in Trinidad was linked to the TikTok challenge. In February, it was linked to the death of a 10-year-old girl in Italy, which prompted the Italian government to block national access to the app unless users were able to prove their age. When the incident in February occurred, TikTok said it was helping authorities in the probe over possible “incitement to suicide.” However, they also said they were unable to identify any content that would have encouraged the girl to participate in a challenge of this kind. What is the blackout challenge? This type of challenge has existed online for years, and frequently changes face on TikTok. It has previously been known as the “Passout Challenge”, “The Game of Choking”, “Speed Dreaming” or “The Fainting Game.” This version of the trend, “the blackout challenge,” is no different. In this format, it encourages TikTok users to film strangling or choke themselves with household objects until they “blackout.” As an app that is attractive to very young and impressionable kids looking for entertainment while bored in a global health crisis, it is particularly dangerous. While TikTok has an age limit of 13-years-old, it hasn’t stopped children from getting involved. TikTok has since made efforts to curb the damages. When searching for “blackout challenge” on the app in the UK, users are now met with no results and a short paragraph that says “This phrase may be associated with behavior or content that violates our guidelines. Promoting a safe and positive experience is TikTok’s top priority.” Meanwhile, the page which displays the original hashtag says “Performance, imitation, or encouragement of dangerous amateur stunts and risky behavior can lead to serious injury or death, is not permitted on TikTok.”

The video in question shows Kelsey creating a custom color 5ft balloon mosaic, in which she voices over the video saying “I’ve received a lot of really weird comments about my pricing in general but especially the balloon mosaics. “Someone commented and said that takes less than 30 minutes to make and you can get balloons from Party City for $5 and that’s just simply not true. So if anyone out there sees this and thinks they can replicate this with Party City balloons and do it in less than 30 minutes then duet me because I’d love to see it.” People popped off in the comments. One of the top comments on the video read, “300?!? It better play music.” Someone else wrote, “For $300 it better walk and sing.” Another person added “I literally liked it then unliked it…$300 chill. User @sugarhaddy posted a duet with Kelsey, amassing more than 13 million views and said while she doesn’t think it’s wrong to charge $300, “it’s wrong to challenge people without explaining your process if your customers have questions on why it costs so much.” However, some duetted the video defending the artist. TikToker Heartthrobrobert thought people had inflated the issue, saying: “You’re all kids with no money of course you think that. “Do you think these rich people want to spend their entire day getting balloons and blowing them up and putting them in a letter that’s just one decoration of dozens at their event? However, Zoe alleges that the producers made it clear to her that the only way she would be allowed on the show was if she sang a P!nk song. She also explains that they told Zoe to turn up at 6 am, hours before she actually had to be there, and constantly talked to her about P!nk throughout the day despite her clear discomfort with it. Comments under the video showed an outpouring of support for Zoe, where they looked back on the audition and realised there were a lot of warning signs that the programme was potentially being deceptive. “‘You told me to sing a P!nk song’ makes so much sense now,” one user said.
