Now, TikTok may even be the way that people end up finding employment, after they announced the launch of a new pilot feature on July 7. The feature is called, ‘TikTok Resumes,’ and as the name suggests, it will allow users to apply for jobs by posting videos that showcase their best skills and qualities. Job listings can be found through the TikTok Resumes website, after which users will upload their video resume and submit it. People can apply to companies such as Chipotle, Target, WWE, Alo Yoga, Shopify, Contra, Movers+Shakers, and more. However, this annual tradition took a different turn in 2020, with the platform explaining in a Twitter statement that there would be no celebration of its content after such a turbulent year for users all over the world. “2020 has been different,” their statement read. “It doesn’t feel right to carry on as if it weren’t. Were “alien corpses” really shown to Mexican government? Viral video sparks theories MXCDA viral video being shared on social media claims to show the corpses of two aliens, some 1000 years old, being displayed in Mexican congress. However, the veracity of the claim is dubious at best. On September 12, Marca reported that “‘non-human’ alien corpses” were displayed at Mexico’s Congress, by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan. The video of the press event held at congress was shared on social media, with posts claiming these were indeed 1000-year-old non-human remains. However, doubt was also immediately cast on the reports, due to Maussan’s history of falsely or mistakenly claiming to have alien corpses. Were alien corpses found in Peru? The claim, made by Maussan to the Mexican government, is that these corpses were found in Peru, are approximately 1000 years old, and are ‘alien’. Speaking under oath, Maussan said, “These specimen are not part of our terrestrial evolution… These aren’t beings that were found after a UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom (algae) mines, and were later fossilized.” However, Maussan has a history of similar claims, which have been debunked. In 2015, Jaime Maussan reported the discovery of another alien “mummy” in Peru, which was unveiled in a similarly viral video at the time. However, it was later confirmed that the “alien” discovery was in fact the mummified corpse of a human child. No.” Commenters weigh in on Wendy’s situation The TikTok video, which has since gone on to gain over 20,000 views, sparked an onslaught of comments. One agreed with Lauren’s claims of being overworked by the establishment, stating “I know this all to well, I work for Wendy’s, I work window but they expect me to take orders, cash, drinks, bag the food and hand it out by myself.” Another claimed that they “quit after 3 days when I left at 3:00 a.m. and was supposed to come back at 11:00 a.m. the same day.” Another lamented, “This is me at McDonald’s right now and I got an interview for Wendy’s.” One even went so far as to share “Wendys was the worst job I’ve ever had and I used to wipe old people’s butts.” Many urged Lauren to ask for more money, questioning “Why not just call corporate and ask if they will pay you double?” In other Wendy’s news, a staff member agreed to fight a customer after their order went wrong.

He has now created the Wendy’s Nugg Party website. The site offers a real-time interactive map of participating Wendy’s restaurants that offer Nuggs Party Packs so you can plan your nugget feast ahead of time. To celebrate, fans who use the rewards scheme through the Wendy’s app can get a 6-piece order of chicken nuggets for free with any purchase on a Wednesday. Wendy’s new breakfast items It’s not just the chicken nugget that is being celebrated at Wendy’s either, as they’ve amped up their breakfast menu, too. Fans will now be able to order a sausage breakfast burrito, inspired by the fan-favorite bacon breakfast burrito. According to SheFinds, the original poster claimed to have been informed by an employee, writing, “They told me they’re getting ready to get rid of the best Wendy’s burger I’ve ever had.” Eat This, Not That! spoke with employees over the phone from two stores who confirmed both the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger and the Loaded Nacho Chicken Sandwich would soon be cut, though they declined to offer any timeline as to when this could be expected. When the site then contacted Wendy’s directly, a spokesperson said, “While we’re always innovating and introducing new, exciting offerings to cater to our fans’ ever-evolving tastes, there’s no exact date set for when the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger will roll off menus. Jeffree Star is quite possibly one of the biggest names in YouTube’s beauty community, having amassed an entire empire of his own under Jeffree Star Cosmetics. However, there’s trouble in paradise, after he claimed that his alleged now-ex boyfriend — pro baller Andre Marhold — had stolen from him. What’s the tea? Star claimed that Marhold — who he has apparently parted ways with — had taken a few designer items from his home and was seemingly not answering the phone. However, Marhold — or rather, a “backup” account pretending to be him — shot back with accusations of his own, claiming that Star had acquired a sexually transmitted disease and that he’d even cheated on former ex-boyfriend, Nathan Schwandt, with his friend. It seems as though these accusations, as well as the accounts making them, were completely false, as Star later explained in a statement. Claiming he is completely clean of any STD, the YouTuber is undertaking legal action against the fake accounts — but there’s more to this wild tale than these rumors. But wait — there’s more! A post from yet another fake “backup” Instagram account pretending to be Marhold claimed that he and Star had never slept together nor even dated, going on to allege that Star had actually hired him to be a fake boyfriend in an effort to clean up his image. PewDiePie is the undisputed king of YouTube, standing as the site’s most-subscribed independent creator of all time. Alinity, a popular Twitch streamer, once “threatened” the YouTube star with a copystrike after he used one of her clips in a video, leading to a long-standing “feud” of sorts between the two. Years after Alinity’s initial copystrike threat took place, it seems she and PewDiePie have finally made amends, after the two hashed it out in a private conversation. “I never said this, but Alinity actually reached out,” he said during a video uploaded on September 29. “She apologized, we totally buried the hatchet. Zoe Laverne is also a hugely popular TikToker, but has recently come under fire for a controversy involving a 13-year-old fan. What’s the tea? Fans were shocked when a recording emerged on popular gossip page tiktokroom that appeared to display Zoe shading Charli. DigitrevX is the designer of Projekt Melody’s IP, and the pair have been enduring a long-lasting DMCA debate, questioning who actually owns the rights to Projekt Melody’s IP. What’s the tea? On November 4, Projekt Melody’s account was inexplicably banned, along with her partnership status being revoked. The ban was supposedly as a result of “infringing content,” though Projekt Melody’s owner had the proof to disprove DigitrevX’s claims. According to the timeline that has been established so far, DigitrevX created the persona of Projekt Melody for the fee of $5000, proven by invoice attachments in a TwitLonger by Melody’s owner. She also included messages between her and DigitrevX in which he states directly “you own the IP” and “in the end this is yours.” However her TwitLonger revealed the harsh truth behind the DMCA ban and how DigitrevX has changed his story since then, leaving many fans angry and calling for Twitch to address the situation properly. She explained “I’m lucky enough to have a career that I absolutely love with supportive and redonkulous friends, and he is trying to take all that away, even though I paid him for my body.” Her account has since been reinstated, in a confusing twist. Joe Rogan called out for acting “fake” to Kanye West Who’s involved? Joe Rogan is one of the biggest podcasters on the internet with the Joe Rogan Experience, well known for his star studded line up and straight talking attitude. Kanye West is a rapper and entrepreneur, who recently attempted to run in the presidential election. What’s the tea? Kanye’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast had been long anticipated, and fans were left worried when it looked like the episode would have to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Luckily the show eventually was able to go ahead, and many were fascinated by the frank chat between the two. However, following the release of the episode, YouTuber Crying Shark stitched together a series of old clips in which Joe openly criticizes Kanye, including on his recent controversies, as well as appearing to mock the star for wanting to run in the election. Many fans felt this tone was drastically different to how Joe spoke to Kanye in the podcast, comments calling him “fake,” “arrogant” and “two-faced” flooding the video. However, many viewers reminded others of the fact that the clips were years old, and not necessarily reflective of his current mindset. Top Talent House manager accused of exploitation Who’s involved? The Top Talent house was launched on October 10, and features stars such as Anna Shumate and Rachel Brockman, and in only a short time has accumulated a fair amount of attention. Jake Paul, YouTuber and former Team 10 leader, is no stranger to the world of boxing, having already fought with KSI’s little brother Deji as part of the record-breaking fight event between Logan Paul and KSI. He’s set to take part in an exhibition fight with ex-NBA star Nate Robinson on November 28. What’s the tea: In an October 29 press conference, Jake appeared from a hospital room claiming that he’d gone to “get a little check up”, leaving journalists understandably taken aback. According to the YouTuber, he punched a hole through a car as part of “a little morning practice.” However, many fans speculated that he had a black eye and potentially some damage to his nose too, thanks to his conspicuous use of a mask. Charli and Dixie D’Amelio are two of the biggest stars on TikTok, with a combined total follower account of 137 million. Along with their parents, they also make family YouTube videos, and entered Mr Beast’s Creator Games as a team. What’s the tea? The D’Amelio family ended up winning Mr Beast’s Creator Games, that saw some of the biggest names in the world of social media pitted against each other to win a trivia contest. While only Charli and Dixie originally were billed to participate, fans were surprised when their parents showed up along with them. Many claimed that they had an unfair advantage being in a group of four people when other teams only had one, but in the final round, it was only Dixie who was competing. Zoe eventually released a statement on her Instagram in which she said her and the minor “never had a relationship but we did catch feelings for each other after being so close. After Joe Rogan announced that he would finally be doing a podcast with the musician, fans were left shattered when he announced that due to a staff member testing positive for a virus, he would have to cancel a week’s worth of podcasts – including Kanye’s. Corey La Barrie was a popular and beloved YouTuber who sadly passed away as a result of a car accident on May 10. People were left angry and upset after Tayler announced his new merch, using the slogan ‘Under Appreciated’ with a very particular design. People immediately noticed that the logo actually belonged to Corey, and was an exact copy. With over a billion users, TikTok is awash with plenty of unique ideas for every occasion — and that, of course, includes weddings. The latest wedding to go viral has garnered already over 7 million views; TikTok users praising the “beautiful” idea and swearing they’ll save it for their own big day. The video was captured by photographer Gillian Lee, who shared the newlywed’s “creative” guest list idea — whereby they opted for a fun touch to their wedding by incorporating LEGO. The TikTok showed wedding guests putting together LEGO Minifigures to resemble themselves with little nametags under each to avoid any confusion. The figurines were then displayed together as the official guest list. Going by ‘gillianleephotos’ on TikTok, Gillian revealed in the caption that “all the guests had the best time putting together their LEGO pieces” and stated it was “truly such a great idea!” Viewers rushed to her comment section to express their love for the couple’s unique guest list, many insisting they “need to do this” for their own weddings. “[Oh my God]!!! I need more information about this!!” one person wrote. TikTok is known for being a hub of viral content online, and people upload anything from challenges and dances, to comedy and fashion videos, with the possibility of getting millions of views from their content. People also use it as a place to share important moments from their lives in video form. TikTok user violetprice16x uploaded a now-deleted clip on February 5 of her best friend, Catherine, telling her that “she ain’t gonna fall in love” a few months prior. This was immediately followed up with images of Catherine on her wedding day, but while she was dressed in a beautiful white wedding gown, her husband was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Commenters immediately started slating the groom’s outfit choice, with some even describing it as a “red flag.” “You’re telling me he turned up to his wedding in a palm angels shirt,” one commenter with nearly 100,000 likes read, another saying: “Did he not know he was getting married?” After the flood of backlash about the surprising outfit, the original poster responded with a comment of her own underneath the video. “For god sake stop she’s married & very happy. She’s not bothered what way he dressed she’s married & that’s all that matters,” she wrote. Despite the update, many viewers still weren’t convinced, with a comment reading, “I get that she’s happy but jeans and shirt to ya wedding?” getting nearly 400 likes. If there’s one thing every restaurant server could agree on, it’s that closing time — is closing time. So when TikToker Syd and her colleagues only had about ten minutes until their restaurant closed, they made sure to have everything ready to leave on time. However, a wedding party of 50 people walked in right before closing and demanded they stay open. But when the restaurant refused, the father of the bride made sure to be clear about his frustrations. Wedding party walked into restaurant with only eight minutes until closing Syd took to TikTok to explain what happened on the night that a wedding party of 50 adults walked into her work and took over the front of the house. Captioning her video, “I still have nightmares about these guests,” Syd began to reenact the scene and dialogue she endured from the father of the bride. Though she did warn the group that their restaurant was closing in about eight minutes, the father of the bride tried to have them stay open so they could get a couple of rounds of drinks from the bar. However, the restaurant refused to stay open late, as their liquor license would have possibly been revoked for serving alcohol past a certain hour. The father of the bride even tried to offer any amount of money to the servers for them to stay open, but management was not budging. After being told no, the wedding party then moved about sixty tables to accommodate their group. The father of the bride then ordered 48 tequila shots despite being told that only beer and wine were available. When he was finally given the bill for their brief stay, he crumbled up the receipt in front of Syd and said, “Why would I tip you to do fifteen minutes worth of work? It’s just your job.” He then told Syd that he lived in Virginia and would never see any of the servers again and continued to walk out of the restaurant even though Syd tried to explain that they were more than accommodating to their wedding party. Well, in recent days, there’s a new video that has caught the attention of many, as a man tried to propose to his partner while in line at a McDonalds. Though, it didn’t exactly go to plan. When you think of marriage proposals, McDonalds is hardly the first place that comes to mind, but that’s exactly what happened in the video posted by madame_fossette on Twitter. Apparently filmed in a store in South Africa, the short clip has racked up over 3 million views at the time of writing, with one stricken lover on his knee holding out the ring as his partner is completely embarrassed by what is unfolding, talking to the cashier. In just three days, a repost of the now-deleted video has racked up over four million views as commenters pour in with their thoughts on the ordeal. “I mean that’s not even just a white dress, that’s straight up a WEDDING DRESS,” one angry viewer said. “This is why you have red wine and a designated petty friend at your wedding,” another suggested. “That’s it…I am up for hire for any wedding that requires red wine accidents,” another said. “$100 and I eat free, please.” That’s not the end of the story, though. Although Cari deleted her original video, she claimed that a total of four guests were wearing white at the wedding, all of whom the bride had asked her to speak to about the situation. According to Cari, the gal in the viral video wearing the wedding dress was “completely clueless.” “She said that it was her culture to wear that type of dress at a wedding,” Cari explained. Cari also said that the bride was “100% fine” with her making a TikTok video about the situation and was instructed to tell the guests that they couldn’t sit near the aisles so as not to clash with photos of the bride in her gown. This is far from the first time such an incident has gone viral on TikTok. Despite his account being removed from the site, some netizens are convinced that he’s back on the platform amid news of his recent bans from other platforms — but they’re lashing out at the wrong guy. An East Texas meteorologist by the name Andrew Tate is currently getting flamed online as users have mistaken the weatherman for the controversial online figure. xQc’s mom won’t stop sneaking into his room while he’s streaming and it’s hilarious There’s nothing worse than somebody coming in your room and distracting you from playing video games, but xQc’s mom takes things to a whole other level. Clips of the Canadian Twitch streamer visibly irritated on more than one occasion have been making the rounds online as he catches his mom crawling around his room. His mother, who clearly thought her funny tactic would keep her out of shot, couldn’t be any more noticeable as viewers saw a mysterious hand appear in the corner of the screen to give the professional player some food. The streamer was playing the role-playing game Bloodborn at the time, and didn’t look very happy about his mom’s unexpected cameo. When he realized she was in the room, xQc took a moment away from the game, removed his headset and spoke with her on one occasion. He looked pretty embarrassed by the whole thing. xQc, who rose to fame for his Overwatch exploits, has recently distanced himself from the game’s community. “Overwatch is the most ungrateful, dogshit, entitled, SJW, quote-unquote want to have it both ways, piece of shit community,” the streamer told viewers. “I am eternally saddened that Blizzard has to deal with and reform such a complete, retarded, piece of garbage, flaming hot shit of a community”. TikTok houses such as the immensely popular Hype House and Sway House have proven to be a lucrative opportunity for creators looking to boost their following and collaborate on content with fellow social media stars. The success of these popular creator groups has inspired a long string of houses inspired by the likes of the Sway and Hype houses, even leading to the launch of kids-only house the ‘Vibe Crew’ in August. One such house is the Wave House, a UK based creator group that gained traction on TikTok after their bizarre influencer reveals, where the stars were unveiled using jewel encrusted masks in a series of videos staged at their £5 million mansion. The strange reveal technique had many criticizing the creators, and YouTuber turned TikToker Carmie Sellitto had a few words to say about the backlash in his video “The Truth About the Wave House.” “I finally have structure to my life. I lowkey finally have a purpose,” he said. “I’m actually doing something now. And now people are hating on me for this. Like what? I’m just trying to be someone, I’m trying to do something with my life, and now people are hating on me because I’m changing.” “Personally I’ve dealt with the most hate in this whole house. The stuff I used to do back in the day I obviously regret so much, but I’ve grown from that. I’m such a different person to what I was back then,” he continued. “Do people not realize what I’m actually doing? No one in the UK is doing what I’m doing. I’m not trying to sound cringe but I’m kind of making history in a sense for the UK.” His attempt to combat the negative comments seemed to fall on deaf ears, however, as the comment section of his video was flooded with viewers pointing out his controversial YouTube past, where he found popularity criticizing other creators. Watch The First Official Trailer for the Deji vs Jake Paul Boxing Match The main attraction on August 25 at the Manchester Arena will be KSI vs Logan Paul, but their brothers, Deji vs Jake Paul, will also be facing off on the undercard. Originally, KSI had called out both Jake and Logan, but after Jake seemed to back out of the potential fight, KSI’s younger brother Deji (aka ComedyShortsGamer) stepped up to challenge him. And the beef between Deji and Jake, which originally started from nothing (Jake claims he had never heard of Deji beforehand), has ramped up since the pair were lined up against each other. After a war of words at the Los Angeles press conference, followed by a number of videos sending shots back and forth, they faced off again at the London press conference, and the tension was real. The real moment of angst was during their face-to-face meeting, recorded with world champion boxer Johnny Nelson, and it was clear both fighters can’t wait to get their hands on each other. The full trailer for their fight has now been released, documenting the events leading up to fight, which is now only a matter of weeks away. Without any more press conferences or meetings, the next time they will be in the same room will likely be the fight itself. Jake is most people’s favorite for the fight, as Deji admits he has never trained before and doesn’t consider himself an athlete. On the other hand, Jake has some experience fighting, previously a wrestler when he was younger. But niether fighter has any experience at boxing, so it is simply two amateurs attempting to hit each other as much as possible – we’re not expecting a strategic masterclass. But TikTokers aren’t just warming up their vocal cords, they’re bringing out their acting skills too and Noah Beck has starred in Machine Gun Kelly’s latest music video for ‘love race featuring Kellin Quinn from rock band Sleeping with Sirens. The video sees MGK playing an emo teenager, pulling up to a summer camp called Emo Pointe where Noah Beck takes a register of names wearing a crop top. As the campers enjoy their summer, hanging by the pool and watching Noah’s character play guitar by a fire, gradually they get picked off in a series of mysterious murders. MGK’s character gets shot in the head by a bow and arrow, while another person gets mauled by an alligator. Eventually, the murderer turns to Noah who attempts to fight back with his fists but instead gets his arm ripped off and blood spurts out of his shoulder, before he gets repeatedly slapped by his assailant. Following Noah’s first music video appearance in Dixie D’Amelio’s Be Happy, this is definitely a contrasting plotline, but fans are here for it.

The internet was blown away on May 22 after 17-year-old Adrian Lopez’s gathering at Huntington Beach got out of hand. The teen had only intended on spreading the word about the gathering to a few people, but after millions of people viewed the video, the party was flooded with a huge number of attendees. It was eventually shut down by police, and some arrests were even made. But it seems that the insane amount of attention the party got on TikTok has inspired other people to try creating their own Adrian’s Kickback-inspired gathering. TikTok user KidSteez made several videos promoting the ‘Washinton Kickback’ that was set to take place on Alki Beach on May 29 at 6pm, encouraging people to show up. While the views weren’t quite on the scale of Adrian’s Kickback, the videos did pick up a fair amount of attention, and substantial crowds turned up at the event. The house was shut down after its manager, 21-year-old Nour Khodr, was accused by several of his former clients of grooming them, manipulating them, and plying them with alcohol. While Pego tried to move on with her career by joining Not a Content House, it seems that her time with them is already over. The House’s official TikTok account unfollowed her, while current members Sabrina Quesada, Eva Cudmore and Anna Schumate confirmed to reporters at The Hollywood Fix that Pego was out of the House. He explained that he had vocalized his support for pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong, a position antithetical to that of the Chinese government. Also, he compared the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, to the famous children’s character Winnie the Pooh, an act that has been banned since 2017. The BBC reports that searches for him on Chinese video sites like iQiyi and Tencent Video still returned thousands of results. While some of the Swede’s content has been made unavailable in China, the majority of his content remains accessible. A number of ‘western’ social media sites – including YouTube – are banned in China, in favor of the Chinese government’s own alternatives. Despite the banning of some of PewDiePie’s content, there is apparently no suggestion that the Chinese government themselves are behind the partial removal. Now, a video has gone viral of Pusha T being inundated with objects being launched at him, forcing the rapper to take shelter off stage. The American rapper was busy delivering a power-packed performance and it is not new information that Drake and Pusha have bad blood between them, leading many to believe that this video sees Drake fans attacking Pusha. However, it turns out the video was old and resurfaced in between their never-ending beef with each other. Old footage resurfaces on the internet The video is from November 2018 when viewers presumed to be Drake fans ambushed him on stage while Pusha T was performing in Toronto, Canada. As per reports at the time, the rapper’s security was shocked by the concertgoers’ behavior, leading to a physical altercation. This led to three people being hospitalized and the old footage went viral as Drake took a dig at Pusha T. He also subtlely shaded Pharell Williams in Travis Scott’s new album, Utopia, as he rapped: “I melt down the chains that I bought from yo boss/Give a f**k about all of that heritage s**t/Since V not around, the members done hung up the Louis/They not even wearing that s**t.” However, Pusha T has been the center of attention for a while as, on July 15, Raphouse TV revealed that a bot army is spreading misinformation about the rapper. Some of these statements are derogatory and malicious but there seems to be no pattern or sense to these tweets that are directed at the rapper. Taking to Twitter, fans shared screenshots of IShowSpeed’s account seemingly taken down by the platform. When the link to his Instagram is clicked, the following message appears, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” As of right now, it is unclear whether the YouTuber deactivated the accounts himself or if Instagram took action against IShowSpeed. Considering his past controversies, however, many have assumed it to be later. There have been reports online that he was banned by the platform, though these have yet to be verified or confirmed by IShowSpeed. This wouldn’t be the first time IShowSpeed has lost access to a platform, earning himself multiple suspensions from YouTube and permabans from both Valorant and Twitch. As to why he would have lost his Instagram accounts, that remains to be answered.
