  • Valkyrae reveals stress about leaving Twitch viewers for YouTube: “I abandoned them” – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals stress about leaving Twitch viewers for YouTube: “I abandoned them” Twitter, @ValkyraeOne of the world’s most influential streamers, 100 Thieves’ Valkyrae has opened up and revealed the stresses behind her switch from Twitch to YouTube — including worries that she had “abandoned” her viewers. Taking a cursory look at the gaming and streaming industry, Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter seems to have easily earned her “Queen of YouTube” recognition. In the past year alone, the 100T streamer overtook Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys as the most-watched female streamer, won the Game Awards’ Content Creator of the Year, and became a co-owner of 100 Thieves. But, while Rae’s YouTube channel now earns around nearly $200,000 a month, that success did not come easily. In a new retrospective video, Valkyrae reveals how stressed and unhappy she was during the switch to YouTube back in January 2020 — and, particularly, why she worried she had betrayed her followers. https://twitter.com/100Thieves/status/1390748285699125250 Touching on current successes and the path to get here, Valkyrae dives into the emotions she felt when she left thousands of daily viewers for contract security: “When I decided to switch over to YouTube, I pretty much was sacrificing everything I had worked for, for stability.” Namely, the streamer was concerned that she had sacrificed her community: “I was kind of freaking out about how people were going to think about me switching over to a different platform.” After losing thousands of viewers during the switch, Rae elaborates that she was concerned about disappointing her fans: “I was pretty stressed about it … I felt like I was letting a lot of people down, like my core community that used to watch me on Twitch. I felt like they just didn’t wanna watch me anymore because I left them or abandoned them.” Ultimately, we all know that Valkyrae’s audience bounced back — in a major way. But, at the time, the successful streamer reveals that she “wasn’t necessarily happy” and “was really, really struggling with the move.” A testament to the care for her community, those early woes have slipped aside as the streamer now opens new doors. Making music, appearing in music videos and on talk shows, Rae is especially proud of a new accomplishment: 45% of her viewers are now women. And that’s what counts for the 100T co-owner, who seems most proud of her efforts to legitimize minorities in the gaming world: “Me, a woman of color and a female in gaming? If I can do it, I can inspire so many other women to be able to do the same thing.”

  • Valkyrae reveals she’s scared of fans finding her on dating apps – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals she’s scared of fans finding her on dating apps YouTube: ValkyraeStreaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter claims she’s always a little “worried” when using dating apps in case fans try to find her. Although being a streamer can have massive perks, one of the downsides of being in the public eye is managing a dating life or a relationship. As a result, numerous streamers have sworn never to publicly disclose any such information, including Twitch star Pokimane. YouTuber Ludwig has also called on his “weirdo” viewers to stop obsessing over streamers and their relationships. However, Valkyrae gave fans a rare glimpse into her dating life. Yet, she also admitted she was reluctant to talk about it during her livestreams due to the reaction it might cause among her fanbase. Valkyrae “worried” to talk about dating apps with fans Valkyrae opened up about her experiences using dating apps with fans on May 30, when she explained why she was hesitant to bring up the topic while streaming. “I was hesitant to talk about my dating app experiences,” Valkyrae said. “Because now I’m worried that people are going to literally get on the dating apps to try and find me.” However, she had a rethink about the issue because her fans don’t know “which dating app” she’s on. She denied that it was Grindr, but joked that “it could be.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2bC0Wck9GU Although she found dating apps to be “crazy,” Valkyrae claimed that it has given her the opportunity to meet new people. Yet, she revealed that her “biggest fear” is being recognized by her date for being a streamer before getting to know them. Valkyrae also shared how she’s had some success with her dating as she previously enjoyed a “super cute” get-together with someone she met through the app. Sadly, it didn’t work out in the end because she “got too busy.”

  • Valkyrae reveals she spent “way over” $50,000 for sister’s wedding – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals she spent “way over” $50,000 for sister’s wedding YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae revealed that she spent quite a pretty penny on her sister’s upcoming wedding — over $50,000, in fact. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the most prominent streamers on YouTube, where she boasts nearly 4 million subscribers. During her time in the limelight as an influencer, Rae has been open about supporting her family with her newfound wealth, even renovating her mother’s kitchen after hitting the big time on YouTube. That’s not all; Rae has also featured her little sister on stream in the past, to whom she says she’s giving a major wedding / Christmas gift that left her fellow streamers shocked. The topic came up during a recent Fortnite stream with Sykkuno, Lily Pichu, and Natsumiii, with Sykkuno ribbing Natsumiii about her opulent wedding that she live streamed on Twitch. Sykkuno then pondered the cost of the average wedding, which Natsumiii answered could be anywhere from $20k – $50k. This isn’t too far off the mark; according to The Knot’s Real Weddings Study from 2021, the average cost of a wedding in 2019 was around $28,000 — however, ceremonies can vary by price wildly depending on what the couple wants. Valkyrae spent over $50,000 on sister’s wedding “Some person in chat says Rae is paying for her sister’s whole wedding,” Sykkuno later commented. “Jesus.” “I did,” Rae confirmed. “Oh my god — isn’t that a lot of money?” a shocked Sykkuno answered. “She just said weddings are like, $50k!” “Oh, I spent way more than that,” Rae admitted. “It’s their wedding gift, and also Christmas gift, and I love her! She’s my only sister.” Valkyrae’s friends seemed impressed by her dedication to her little sis, although Sykkuno still couldn’t get over the sheer amount spent on the whole shindig. Although her little sister is tying the knot, Rae herself is a single pringle, saying she’s looking for a new relationship (but isn’t interested in trying out dating apps as a famous influencer).

  • Valkyrae reveals she’s already been asked to fight in influencer boxing events – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals she’s already been asked to fight in influencer boxing events YouTube: ValkyraePopular YouTube streamer Valkyrae recently took up boxing — and she’s already received offers to fight in upcoming influencer boxing events. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the most popular broadcasters online. Boasting over 3 million YouTube subscribers, she’s also a co-owner of 100 Thieves and has appeared in a few major music videos. However, she’s about to add another big title to her resume after diving into the sport of boxing. The streamer got inspired after watching Creator Clash this past weekend, which saw 18 influencers face off in the boxing ring for charity. The event made history by holding the first-ever women’s influencer boxing match, which saw Twitch streamer ‘JustaMinx’ emerge victorious over opponent ‘Yodeling Haley.’ Shortly thereafter, Rae posted a photo of herself in a boxing gym wearing athletic gear, showing that she’s ready to start her own foray into combat sports after witnessing the fist-flying action over the weekend. First time learning how to fight and box with a trainer😮💨🎉 pic.twitter.com/k1c7N4bKLY — RAE (@Valkyrae) May 18, 2022 It hasn’t taken long for other influencers and event organizers to take notice. According to Valkyrae, she’s already been tapped as a possible fighter for future boxing showdowns just days after announcing her intent to start the sport. “I did not confirm to any fighting event,” she clarified during a recent live stream. “I did not. Have I been asked to a few? Yes, I have been asked to a few different boxing events already.” (Topic begins at 1:11) With iDubbbz confirming that a Creator Clash 2 is definitely happening, fans are curious to see if she’ll make it on the next fight card when 2023 rolls around. Streaming group OTK has similarly expressed a desire to host their own boxing event. As the influencer boxing bug is at an all-time high, there’s no telling when, where, or with whom Valkyrae may make her first boxing debut — but she’s already received challenges from major names like the WWE’s Zelina Vega.

  • Valkyrae reveals she has re-signed with YouTube despite problems with the platform – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals she has re-signed with YouTube despite problems with the platform ValkyraeYouTube’s streaming queen Valkyrae has re-signed with the platform in an exclusive deal, securing what was no doubt another substantial contract following her previous move from Twitch – but has admitted the site is not “perfect”. 100 Thieves member Rachael ‘Valkyrae‘ Hofstetter initially joined YouTube in 2020, leaving behind her Twitch channel. Although seen as a risk at the time, she was among a handful of streamers who helped elevate YouTube’s role in streaming. She then re-signed with the platform in early 2022, committing her future to YouTube until at least 2024. With that deal now coming to a close, she has confirmed that no changes are afoot, despite YouTube not being perfect, and has re-signed once again. Valkyrae sticks with YouTube over Twitch and Kick Without a major announcement, Valkyrae simply notified her fans of the new deal during one of her streams. “You know how before we would do like YouTube announcements and stuff, and it would be all crazy? I was like, ‘I’m just going to tell them’. Yeah, I’ve re-signed to YouTube,” the streamer said. But, she quickly added, “Although it’s not perfect – I don’t think any platform is perfect – I feel pretty comfortable and happy. And they do ‘deal’ with me,” she laughed. Valkyrae didn’t go into any further detail on the deal, such as it’s length, and certainly not what kind of financial deal was struck. But, given her popularity on the platform, which has remained steady if stagnant for years now (her subscriber count has only increased by 200,000 in 2023, a small increase compared to previous years), the deal will no doubt be a lucrative one. Other YouTube streamers may also be in negotiations for new deals as the year ticks over, if they have not signed them in the background already.

Since then, she’s become a co-owner of 100 Thieves and has even appeared in major music videos for such artists as Machine Gun Kelly and Bella Poarch. She, alongside fellow YouTuber JackSepticEye, provided voices for characters in the Netflix show Sonic Prime. She’s also provided voiceovers for characters in Funimation’s Tribe Nine anime. This unexpected collab comes after several high profile streamers starred in Ryan Reynold’s 2021 film ‘Free Guy,’ which featured broadcasters like Pokimane, Ninja, and JackSepticEye.

Valkyrae reveals plans to fund the adoption of a child with her mom Twitter: ValkyraeValkyrae has revealed in a tweet that she plans on funding the adoption of a child together with her mom. YouTube star Valkyrae is no stranger to a busy life, between modeling for GymShark and co-owning 100 Thieves, she also consistently streams and creates content for her viewers to enjoy. Due to Rae’s incredibly busy schedule and lifestyle, she’s expressed why she doesn’t want kids whilst on stream, stating “I just think that I’m so focused on work. I just love working. I just love being busy. I don’t know how I would just stop working to have a kid. It would be so hard.” However, that hasn’t stopped her from assisting her mother in bringing another child into the family. As Valkyrae announced on Twitter on March 6 that she and her mom are considering adoption. The streamer tweeted earlier that she is currently considering adoption for a baby, with her mother raising the child while she supports them financially. Rae has considered this to be “another little sibling”, and therefore isn’t set on raising the child herself, and is more supporting her mother whilst she looks after them. Many have sprung into excitement and support for the streamer, offering advice along the way, noting that Rae has a long road ahead of her in the adoption process. Rae has come forward and announced that this decision has been one that was under consideration for quite some time now, and expressed she believes that it’s “an appropriate time to start the long process”. Whilst not directly raising the child herself, she plans on contributing financially and assisting her mother in helping raise it as her father passed away in 2017. Rae was sure to take advice from others, in particular, those who shared their stories about being adopted, truly showing care and understanding for the process. While the announcement was recent, Valkyrae is well aware of the time it will take to adopt a child, stating it will “probably take years”. This means we might not hear more about the adoption until later down the line.

In response, Rae dropped a lengthy behind the scenes video gives fans a glimpse into the crazy world behind music video creation. MGK chose Valkyrae to play Corpse Right at the start of the backstage tour, Valkyrae is seen alongside members of the 100 Thieves team collecting her Corpse outfit and getting her now-iconic claws done. During the car journey, she mentions that MGK himself was the one who wanted her to portray Corpse in the music video because, of course, the iconic faceless YouTuber didn’t want to appear before the camera. “Corpse doesn’t wanna be filmed, and MGK requested me! Like many of her fellow content creators, YouTube star Valkyrae has dove headfirst into the world of NoPixel with a highly unpredictable alter ego, Ray Mond. Having found herself getting addicted to GTA RP all over again, the streaming sensation and 100 Thieves co-owner has been come under fire from some for planning her interactions in advance – an accusation she has vehemently denied. • Valkyrae reveals major celebrity she’d pick for her “dream” collab – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals major celebrity she’d pick for her “dream” collab YouTube: 100 ThievesYouTube star Valkyrae has big aspirations for her “dream” collaboration, saying that she’d love to make content with Selena Gomez if the opportunity ever arose. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hoffstetter is one of the internet’s most popular streamers. Winner of TGA’s 2020 Content Creator of the Year award and co-owner of 100 Thieves, she’s kind of a big deal — especially after her massive modeling gig with Gymshark. As a content creator, she often collaborates with other top stars in the space, such as her hilarious cooking stream with Bella Poarch or broadcasting her experience at summer camp with her fellow streamers from 100 Thieves. However, she’s got her sights set on even bigger things for the future, revealing who she’d pick for her “dream” collaboration if she could choose from anyone in the world. Valkyrae wants to collab with Selena Gomez Valkyrae opened up on the topic during a video with Kris London and Enable, saying that she would collab with former Disney actress and singer Selena Gomez if she could. “I was thinking maybe Selena Gomez would be incredible,” she admitted. “That would be so cool, just even to like, to interview her or something. I don’t know, anything. Just to say hi.” “It’s just Rae saying hi, and Selena Gomez just walks by like, ‘What?’” Enable joked. “And then I go around saying I collabed with Selena Gomez,” Rae laughed. (Topic begins at 7:12) While Rae might be humble and rather star-struck about her “dream” collaboration prospects, the streamer has had her fair share of interactions with mainstream celebrities throughout her career. In 2021, she starred in the DAYWALKER! Music video with Corpse Husband and Machine Gun Kelly, and later took part in Bella Poarch’s ‘Dolls’ music video with Grimes in Summer 2022. Nothing’s impossible for this streaming star… but the jury’s still out on whether or not her dream collab ever comes to pass. Fans will just have to wait and see if Selena ever takes her up on the offer.

  • Valkyrae reveals how Twitter helped her with stalker who doxxed her – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals how Twitter helped her with stalker who doxxed her YouTube: Valkyrae/Twitter100 Thieves and YouTube star Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter finally explained how Twitter stepped in to help her after a “delusional stalker” decided to dox her address. Since switching to streaming on YouTube, Valkyrae has become one of the biggest streamers around – and even finished off 2020 as the most-watched female streamer around. She’s got a huge fanbase across all of social media, but as we’ve seen plenty of times before, the success comes at a cost as you get some unwanted characters trying to get their attention. In early 2021, she had to go private on Twitter because of a stalker bombarding her with messages. The streamer revealed that said stalker even doxxed her, revealing her address, and she had to get Twitter involved to help out. On January 13, Rae was able to unprivate her Twitter account after the social media platform had stepped in. She tweeted her thanks to Twitter, but that was it, she never really explained what happened. Though, during her January 25 stream, the streamer got into the situation a little more explaining how she was blocking new accounts from the stalker over and over until they tweeted out her address. “100 Thieves reached out to me, and said that they have direct connections with Twitter,” Rae said. “Twitter asked me for screenshots and stuff. I sent them screenshots of them posting my address, and they took care of it. They actually took care of it. And I haven’t heard of this person since. This person is gone. Either he died or the FBI got him.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiT_eD7Abs0&feature=youtu.be The 100 Thieves content creator added that she was kind of “hoping” she’d see death threats from the stalker, rather than just the dox. Read More: When is CodeMiko back on Twitch? – While that might sound confusing to some, Rae explained that if that was the case, she’d be able to get the FBI involved herself and have them deal with it. “It does cost a lot of money, but I’m willing to pay for it,” she said, laughing about it. Other female content creators have gone through similarly scary and unnerving situations, having to deal with stalkers both online and in real life, but Rae’s example shows people have their back.

  • Valkyrae reveals how YouTube contract tweet landed her in hot water – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals how YouTube contract tweet landed her in hot water YouTube: Valkyrae100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter revealed that she got in a bit of trouble with YouTube over her tweet about the time left on her contract. When a streamer signs a contract with a platform – be it Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook Gaming – they’re typically given a few things that they have to deliver on. These things can range from showing a certain number of adverts per stream, keeping a high average count, and even just streaming a set number of hours per month. With her YouTube contract set to wrap up in early 2022, Valkyrae revealed on December 4 that she still had around 198 hours of streaming time to fulfill on her deal before the new year. Though, she had no ideas of how to fill that remaining time and sought advice from her Twitter followers. Well, shortly after that tweet went out, the 100 Thieves co-owner revealed that the post had landed her in a bit of hot water with the platform as they had to have a talk about it. “I wasn’t even supposed to tweet out what I tweeted,” Rae told Sykkuno as they chatted about the time she had left on the contract. “We already had a conversation! They said I don’t need to delete it because the damage has been done.” Sykkuno suggested that Rae should go all out and expose other details, though, she wasn’t having it. “I love YouTube, I’m not trying to make things worse for myself!” she added. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCNRZG003Ok In terms of fulfilling the contract, Sykkuno did have a rather funny suggestion for her. “Just leave your stream on for five hours at a time and you’ll hit the hours easily,” he joked, though, Rae wouldn’t go for it. Seeing as she’s been hyping up YouTube’s recent signings, many fans would see it as a shock if Rae left YouTube once her current contract is up. However, with all the money being thrown around on streamer deals, who knows what’ll happen.

Valkyrae reveals how long she has left in YouTube Gaming contract Valkyrae / YouTubePopular streamer Valkyrae revealed how much time she has left in her YouTube Gaming contract. Fans of the 100 Thieves co-owner were surprised by key details in the agreement. In January 2020, Rachell ‘Valkyrae‘ Hofstetter officially announced her departure from Twitch after signing a multi-year deal to stream exclusively on YouTube Gaming. In a series of tweets, however, the 100 Thieves co-owner unexpectedly revealed how much time she has left before her contract expires – and it’s sooner than you’d think. Valkyrae reveals when her YouTube Gaming contract ends In a December 4, 2021 tweet, Valkyrae opened up to followers about how many hours left she needs to stream to fulfill her contract obligations to YouTube gaming. The social media post also revealed when the agreement comes to an end. “MY 2-YEAR YOUTUBE CONTRACT ENDS ON JANUARY 15TH AND I STILL OWE 198 HOURS BEFORE IT’S OVER WHAT DO I STREAM WHO WANTS TO PLAY WHAT TO GRIND ANYTHING IM DESPERATE LOL WOOOOOO,” the 100 Thieves streamer posted. Based on her tweets, Valkyrae has confirmed that she roughly has around six weeks left on her YouTube Gaming contract before it expires, at the time of writing. However, the streaming star still has hundreds of hours she needs to make up before the deadline. MY 2-YEAR YOUTUBE CONTRACT ENDS ON JANUARY 15TH AND I STILL OWE 198 HOURS BEFORE IT’S OVER WHAT DO I STREAM WHO WANTS TO PLAY WHAT TO GRIND ANYTHING IM DESPERATE LOL WOOOOOO — RAE (@Valkyrae) December 4, 2021 After Hofstetter shared her predicament, there was a flood of ideas and suggestions from friends and fellow streamers on how she could fill the 198 hours. Twitch personality QT Cinderella pitched her genius cooking stream idea. “Easy mam. Lets make the 100 hour chocolate cake and you will be half way done,” she said. Close friend Jacksepticye responded, “Big Thankmas stream on the 11th!” Using a rough calculation, the 100 Thieves personality would need to broadcast at least five hours every day until January 15. While it’s not uncommon for streamers to need to go live for a set amount of hours, many fans of Hofstetter were surprised that she was required to meet a quota of time streamed. Valkyrae opening her tweet by giving the exact end date for her YouTube Gaming contract also had some fans speculating as to whether she was hinting at leaving the Google-owned platform. However, it should be pointed out that the 29-year-old star has given nothing but praise for the site even as close as a week ago, stating, “I am very happy at YouTube.” But anything is possible, as evidenced by Ludwig’s shocking move from Twitch this year.

Valkyrae reveals how serious Corpse Husband’s fear of people is Corpse Husband / ValkyraeValkyrae has explained why she appeared in the Daywalker music video and her reasons behind taking on Corpse Husband’s role. Despite being one of the most popular streamers in the world, the identity behind Corpse Husband still remains a mystery. Corpse Husband rose to popularity after he played Among Us alongside streamers like Valkyrae, PewDiePie, Sykkuno, and more. This brought a great deal of attention to his horror story narration and other content. Since then, Corpse has also gone on to make several songs, with the latest hit being Daywalker – a track that features Machine Gun Kelly and stars popular streamer Valkyrae in the music video. The faceless streamer’s rise to fame has certainly been a successful one and despite fans wanting to know who the man behind the voice is, Corpse has admitted that he worries he won’t be able to meet people’s expectations. The streamer recently revealed how he copes with his chronic illness, during an interview with Anthony Padilla. However, Valkyrae has also now stated how serious Corpse Husband’s fear of people is. The Twitch streamer told her fans that “Corpse has real anxiety and fear of the public.” It’s this anxiety that keeps Corpse from revealing his face and any details that might lead to him being spotted. Read More: Valkyrae teases another “crazy” project – “I can’t imagine being in his position,” explained Valkyrae. “I feel so bad, the struggle he goes through. Not just mental, but physically as well. It’s just crazy what that man goes through. I just can’t imagine that level of anxiety, that’s just a whole other level that most people never experience.” While Corpse Husband has a lot of fans and garnered a huge 7.35M following on his YouTube channel, he also has his fair share of haters. In fact, the streamer went as far as to upload a clip of himself breathing, just to prove a point that people would hate his content for the sake of it. Obviously, his rise to fame and current place within the internet spotlight has done little to quell his existing anxieties. “He can’t say anything over the phone, even to like doctors and stuff, because what if they just choose to leak his address or expose him? I just can’t imagine, it’s just terrible.” Valkyrae then went on to address Corpse Husband’s fans, saying: “If you’re a fan of Corpse Husband, respect his privacy. I think that goes for all public figures, it has to be so mentally exhausting.”

Valkyrae was the most-watched female streamer in 2020, and her popularity is soaring even higher in 2021 thanks to a combination of things, such as becoming a co-owner of 100 Thieves, starring in Corpse Husband and MGK’s music video, Bella Poarch’s music video, and more. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. In the past, Valkyrae revealed she considered “quitting” streaming and social media due to “all the trolls, and hate, and creepiness” on the internet. And now, she spilled more details on the “horrifying” reality behind it. “There isn’t something I haven’t seen. I’ve seen everything. I’ve seen it all,” she said. The examples she mentioned included a porn video titled ‘Valkyrae and Sykkuno,’ web pages filled with people “busting on” photos of her and her friends and even real-life stalkers. “People have to know,” the YouTube superstar continued. “This is one huge downside to being on the internet. You’re exposed to crazy people. A lot of my friends have stalkers. It’s unfortunate how common it is. There’s no internet police, you know? There is none. It’s crazy. It’s scary.” She’s mainly referring to her own run-in with a “delusional” stalker, as well as her friends and fellow housemates’ experiences with them too, which ultimately drove them out of the house. So, she felt the need to warn aspiring streamers and content creators to keep their wits about them. “It’s important. There’s a lot of people who want to get into streaming and become content creators and stuff. And you’ve got to know the bad things about it.” Valkyrie’s eye-opening reflection shows just how sick and twisted the internet can be, especially for a popular streamer. Fortunately, it seems like it’s given her thick skin, perhaps out of necessity. However, fans were disappointed to learn about some of the things she said, which says a lot about how widespread this “crazy” behavior is.

  • Valkyrae reveals her first celebrity crush was actually a Lord of the Rings character – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals her first celebrity crush was actually a Lord of the Rings character YouTube: 100 Thieves Cast/ New Line CinemaRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter wouldn’t be afraid to simply walk into Mordor as the YouTube star revealed that her first celebrity crush was a Lord of the Rings actor. Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings series regularly tops film critics lists as one of the greatest trilogies of all time, sometimes even voted the very best. Its epic conclusion ‘Return of the King’ also went on to become the 26th highest grossing movie of all time. But, for adults now who grew up with the critically-acclaimed saga back in the early 2000s, it will always hold a special place in their hearts for its iconic cinematography, music, and of course the characters. However, there is one LOTR character who had a lasting impact on YouTuber Valkyrae. Speaking to the 100 Thieves for its ‘Boomer vs. Zoomer’ podcast, she revealed that Orlando Bloom’s Legolas in the trilogy became her first celebrity crush. Valkyrae swoons over LOTR’s Legolas On August 9, Valkyrae was asked which celebrity first stole her heart when she was younger. Although she couldn’t think of any at first, she remembered how she swooned over a particular Fellowship member. She stated: “Mr first celebrity crush was Orlando Bloom. Lord of the Rings. Legolas.” However, her fellow podcaster Peter Park claimed he is “more of a Aragorn” who was played by Viggo Mortenson. The pair were then horrified after learning that the “Zoomer” in the podcast Kyedae had never heard of Bloom and was quietly trying to look him up on her phone. (Topic begins at 7:38 in the video) Valkyrae and Park aren’t alone in their view. Both Aragorn and Legolas regularly top the lists as two of the most attractive male movie characters. It would be tough for anyone to try and live up to the blonde-haired, archery-skilled Sindar Elf. However, Valkyrae won’t be finding any potential contenders on dating apps as she also revealed during the podcast that she has deleted them all. As for Lord Of The Rings, fans of Peter Jackson’s original franchise are counting down the days until Amazon’s new prequel series. Although, sadly for Valkyrae, Orlando Bloom isn’t set to make an appearance.

  • Valkyrae reveals her YouTube contract means viewership doesn’t matter – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals her YouTube contract means viewership doesn’t matter YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of YouTube Gaming’s biggest streamers, but she has revealed that her contract with the platform means the number of viewers she gets doesn’t actually matter. Signing a contract in January 2021 to stream exclusively on YouTube, Valkyrae‘s channel almost immediately blew up. Coinciding with the rise of Among Us, her sub count has risen from 1.1 million in September to just shy of 3.5 million at the time of writing. She’s since expanded her portfolio and become involved with other ventures, such as acquiring an ownership stake in esports org 100 Thieves and starring in music videos with artists like Corpse Husband and Bella Poarch. And Valkyrae since has revealed how the “security” of her contract with YouTube means she no longer has to pay attention to the number of viewers she gets. In an interview with Twitch vtuber CodeMiko, Rae explained how her contract with YouTube helped take pressure off her when creating content, and aided her development as she became a mainstream star. “[Becoming successful] was very unexpected,” she said. “I think obviously Among Us had a lot to do with that, but it was very, very unexpected. “It felt like extra credit, because when I switched over obviously I signed a contract so I was like ‘Ok, this is for stability, I can do what I want and not have to worry about numbers and stuff, if I have one viewer I’ll be fine.” While the finer details of Valkyrae’s contract are not known to the public, it’s clear that the stability her deal with Youtube provides has enabled her to be more experimental with her content. And stats from the first quarter of 2021 show that she is still by far the most-watched female streamer, beyond other popular content creators like Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Rumay ‘Hafu’ Wang. The Queen of YouTube is a big example of where a move to another platform has clearly benefitted the content creator, and it will be fascinating to see what lies ahead in the future.

  • Valkyrae reveals DMs with Noah Schnapp about Among Us stream with Corpse – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals DMs with Noah Schnapp about Among Us stream with Corpse YouTube: Valkyrae, Gage Skidmore, InnerSlothYouTube sensation Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has revealed that she’s been chatting to Stranger Things actor, Noah Schnapp, in order to set up a possible Among Us stream. Valkyrae is one of the top Among Us streamers, or at least was when it was the biggest game in streaming. Her crazy antics, coupled with her personality, contributed to her explosive rise in on YouTube, often playing Among Us. It even earned her a spot playing alongside iconic ‘Tonight Show’ talk host, Jimmy Fallon. And this guest spot has inspired one of the other celebrities who joined the show to jump into outer space with Rae. Noah Schnapp, star of Netflix’s sci-fi behemoth ‘Stranger Things,’ is looking to get in on the action. Valkyrae to play Among Us with Stranger Things star It turns out that Valkyrae and Noah have been exchanging dms about a possible Among Us stream for quite some time, but the results have been… strange. “I’m having just the weirdest conversation with Noah…” she confesses. “So like two months ago we were supposed to play Among Us and then he said he was busy. I was like ‘okay, let me know what day and time and we can play in a lobby.’ That was April 12.” She says Schnapp messaged her on May 27 and said “‘let’s do it, when should we do it?’ Do what b*tch?! It’s been two months! What do you mean?!” Going on to suggest that they should maybe play another game due to Among Us’ dip in popularity, she asks “when are you available? Corpse wants to play too. And then he said ‘what game?’” (Topic begins at 13:58) Totally baffled but still up to jump into a lobby, Valkyrae said “thinking about the Jimmy Fallon show, I can’t imagine it going well if we play a different game.” “I said ‘Corpse thinks that Among Us would be easiest for us to play and people love watching and it’s still just fun hanging out… Is there any game you prefer?’” “He’s probably going to be like ‘no, it’s cool, we can play Among Us, I’ll let you know when I’m available’ and then he’s going to ghost me. Again. So that’s how I’m thinking this is going to go.” While the prospect of an Among Us comeback with Rae, Corpse and Noah sounds like it could be a great idea, even if he does seem a little bit sus. We’ll need to wait and see if anything comes of this bizarre conversation, but you never know, stranger things have happened!

  • Valkyrae reveals “crazy” viewership boost thanks to Among Us & Sussy Sundays – Dexerto

Valkyrae reveals “crazy” viewership boost thanks to Among Us & Sussy Sundays YouTube: Valkyrae/ InnerslothYouTuber Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has claimed that her ‘Sussy Sundays’ – where she plays a game of Among Us with her fellow streamers and other Amigops members – is one of her most popular pieces of content. Online multiplayer game Among Us may have been released in 2018, but it was only in 2020 when things really popped off for the space-themed favorite thanks to various big-name creators including it in their content. As things started to slowly die down for Among Us, one streamer who fought for the game’s survival was Valkyrae. Along with her friends Corpse Husband, Disguised Toast, and Sykkuno, the Amigops would often play the game together during their streams. Thus, ‘Sussy Sundays’ were born. The event has proven so popular in fact that Valkyrae claimed that her Sunday streams pull in “30,000” viewers, a significant boost from her content for the rest of the week. Valkyrae’s Sussy Sundays pull in 30k viewers Speaking on June 10, Valkyrae explained how her ‘Sussy Sundays’ events have helped her enjoy a huge viewership boost and become a particular favorite among her fans. The topic sparked as she described her trip to New York when she and Disguised Toast bumped into an avid fan who claimed he “only watched Sussy Sundays” and he “looks forward to it every week.” He even went as far as to say that the pair helped ‘save’ the game. “There’s a lot of people that literally only watch because of Among Us,” Valkyrae said. “It’s true, I have like 30,000 viewers on Sundays and the rest of the week they couldn’t give a f**k.” Topic starts at 14:26 Since ‘Sussy Sundays’ have rocketed, Valkyrae’s various other friends have also joined her and the Amigops for a game of Among Us, including Ludwig and Fuslie. She even showed off her sussing talents on an episode of Jimmy Fallon in 2021. For anyone wanting to catch a glimpse of Valkyrae’s Among Us exploits, the YouTuber explained that clips from her stream can be found on her second YouTube channel. With her Among Us-fuelled content proving to be some of her most popular work, it’s likely Valkyrae won’t be giving up on the game any time soon. Even if her horror game streams have also proven to be a hit.

Valkyrae responds to Zelina Vega’s WWE challenge: “I’m kinda scared” Valkyrae, WWE, Flickr: Midnight BelieverAfter teasing potential boxing ambitions following the Creator Clash event, Valkyrae has been offered the chance to get into a WWE ring by a current WWE Superstar, leaving the streamer feeling a bit apprehensive. At the first Creator Clash event, a number of social media stars battled one another in boxing matches for charity. The whole occasion piqued the interest of Rachell Hofstetter, AKA Valkyrae, who was recently quoted as saying: “Since the boxing match, I’ve been curious what it’s like to fight somebody.” After discussing the interest on a recent stream, a WWE Superstar has taken notice and Tweeted Valkyrae with an interesting proposition. Valkyrae to become a WWE Superstar? The first-ever Queen of the Ring winner in WWE, Zelina Vega, has not only dabbled in cosplay, but she has been a regular on WWE TV, across two stints, for the last several years. Now, she’s decided to lay down the gauntlet for one of the world’s most popular video game streamers. In response to Valkyrae’s suggestions that she may enter a boxing ring, Zelina Vega thought that she should go one step further: “@Valkyrae can also hop in the ring with one of us in @wwe.” The challenge was then addressed during one of Valkyrae’s livestreams as she acknowledge the Tweet from Zelina: “An actual WWE lady said I can join the ring with her. Yeah erm, goes by the name Zelina Vega. I’m kinda scared.” She was also streaming with Ludwig at the time who said she would probably want her [Zelina] on her side, to which Valkyrae replied: “Yeah yeah, for sure for sure.” In an age where cultural crossovers are becoming more and more regular, who’s to say we won’t see Valkyrae make an appearance inside a WWE ring? With Logan Paul making his Wrestlemania debut earlier this year and Dr Disrespect saying he’s ready for a go in WWE, anything is possible.

  • Valkyrae responds to weird drama with Addison Rae & TommyInnit over DreamSMP server – Dexerto

Valkyrae responds to weird drama with Addison Rae & TommyInnit over DreamSMP server YouTube: Valkyrae100 Thieves’ Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hoffstater has responded after being caught up in some bizarre drama involving herself, TikTok star Addison Rae, and Minecraft YouTuber TommyInnit. While Minecraft has always been popular with creators, it’s boomed again on YouTube and Twitch thanks to the rise of the DreamSMP server. Streamers on the scripted Minecraft server regularly draw in hundreds of thousands of viewers, even if they only play for an hour, but it’s not just Minecraft stars on the server. They’ve invited plenty of others too, including rap star Lil Nas X as well as Twitch streamer Ninja, and YouTube’s MrBeast. Twitter went wild when TommyInnit revealed that Addison Rae was in the DreamSMP Discord and was eyeing up playing. While it’s been a few months since that viral moment, fans have brought it back and claimed that Addison is getting Tommy kicked from the server, and somehow, Valkyrae has been dragged into things. The rumors kicked up again on social media after the clip where Tommy jokingly says that Addison is getting him removed from DreamSMP was shared a bunch again. Some Addison fans, however, defended their creator and said it was actually Valkyrae. As a result, the 100 Thieves co-owner has come under a lot of flak on TikTok, even though she’s pretty confused about it. “It’s just the most weirdest thing I’ve ever seen on social media that I happen to be involved in. People are wilding, people are going crazy,” Valkyrae said during her April 26 stream. Timestamp of 7:30 Rae tried to clear things for those viewers who were still confused, noting that some claims had been made about Addison, and herself, leaking Tommy’s home address. “Why would she ever do that? I just don’t think she would leak another creator’s address and this kid is like 18-years-old,” she said. “How would either of us know his address, he lives on the other side of the world? “So I messaged Tommy, I’m waiting for a reply. So Addison Rae is ‘cancelled’ because of this, and now I am also ‘cancelled’ because both of us are apparently trying to kick off Tommy from the Dream server.” While Rae might have cleared things up on her end, it probably won’t stop the Addison fans any time soon as the strange drama rolls on.

Valkyrae sent fans wild after announcing she will be showing off her boxing skills at the next Creator Clash following Justaminx’s huge success with the event. Since then, fans have speculated just how far Valkyrae will go in the ring. Pro-wrestler Zelina Vega even claimed that if Valkyrae wants to have her try in WWE she would be welcome to “hop” into the sport. Then, one of our TikTok’s speculating whether Valkyare would ever take up the offer caught Vega’s attention. She then not only doubled down on the suggestion but offered to “teach” the YouTuber how to prepare for a WWE fight. Zelina Vega offers to train Valkyrae for WWE On July 19, Vega reached out to Valkyrae saying that after watching the TikTok she would love to have the YouTuber join her in the WWE ring. “I peeped that TikTok lol,” said Queen Zelina. “Valkyrae needs to quit playing. She can be my tag partner that doesn’t abandon me at WrestleMania.” However, quickly responded with confusion asking which TikTok she was referring to. Vega didn’t stop there, however. Although she commended Valkyrae for wanting to try her hand at boxing, she also said that she would be welcome to team up if she ever wished to go a step further and make a WWE cameo. Valkyrae hasn’t made any further comments about a potential WWE cameo as of writing. However, fans are nonetheless eager for a collab between her and Queen Zelina.

Valkyrae responds to Jidion’s plans to date her GTA RP character YouTube: Jidion, Valkyrae1YouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has responded to Jidion’s idea to date her GTA RP character, Ray Mond. 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae has admitted to being addicted to playing GTA RP over the last few weeks during her rise in popularity on the No Pixel server. During a recent stream on YouTube, Jidion revealed that he has a crush on the popular streamer and wants to take her out on a date — starting with her GTA RP character. Valkyrae heard about Jidion’s idea and positively responded to it later on during her stream. Valkyrae responds to Jidion wanting to date Ray Mond Shortly after Valkyrae went live on her YouTube channel, a viewer asked her if she had seen the comments Jidion made earlier in his stream. She replied: “Yeah, I saw. I think it’s really funny. If he actually joins No Pixel and tries to date Ray Mond, it’s going to be so funny. That mans gonna probably get ocean-dumped. It should be interesting.” (Topic starts at 9:32 in the VOD) However, there may be an issue with Jidion’s plan. Since Rae often plays with fellow 100T member Fuslie, who streams on Twitch, she would potentially be at risk of getting in trouble for having him on her stream. Jidion was permanently banned from Twitch on January 17 after he initiated a “hate raid” on Pokimane’s channel, although the two streamers put everything behind them with a surprising collaboration. Noted in Twitch’s Community Guidelines: “it is prohibited to use your channel to knowingly feature or advertise a suspended user. “We understand that there may be instances where suspended users may appear on your stream due to circumstances beyond your control, such as through third-party gaming tournaments, but we expect that you make a good faith effort to remove them from your broadcast, mute them, or otherwise limit their interactions with your stream.”

Valkyrae responds to backlash over 100 Thieves Cash App event: “Everybody was tested” Twitch: CashApp100 Thieves streamer and co-owner Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has hit back at criticism after viewers pointed out the lack of masks and social distancing between contestants during the 100T Cash App Uno tournament. On Tuesday, April 20, 100 Thieves brought a number of top creators from across the internet together to compete in the Cash App Pay Day tournament. Creators played UNO and did some trivia, with $450,000 being shared out among competitors and viewers. While the stream was a lot of fun and saw multiple worlds collide, a number of viewers were disappointed with what they saw. In particular, the group was called out for the lack of masks and social distancing in place during the stream, and Rae has taken to Twitter to address this. After posting about how much of a fun day they had, some tweets pointed out that nobody seemed to be wearing masks in the stream, on account of the ongoing global health situation. Read More: How does Valkyrae make money? – Rae tweeted after everything wound down, saying that you would be “foolish to think we would do this without” taking the correct precautions. “Everybody was tested prior AND again before entering the building, health inspector, masks on off camera, most [people] vaccinated, pamphlet with rules and guidelines,” she added, reeling off all of the safety precautions in place. https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1384738131216195584 100T’s VP of Talent and Entertainment, Jackson Dahl, reiterated her point. He said: “To add even more detail, we PCR tested every person who attended today both one week prior, 24 hr PCR the day before, and rapid tested before entry.” To add even more detail, we PCR tested every person who attended today both one week prior, 24 hr PCR the day before, and rapid tested before entry. — Jackson (@jacksondahl) April 21, 2021 Suffice to say, the 100 Thieves crew definitely took a number of precautions to make sure everybody in attendance was as safe as possible. It’s hard to run events given the current global climate, but 100T put on something incredible for their fans and, based on these tweets, there was a lot of behind-the-scenes testing and safety measures keeping it running smoothly.

YouTube streamer Valkyrae entertains a legion of fans across the world, with many of them chiming in to see the streamer play a specific game. Whether its a new release or a bonafide classic, the 100 Thieves content creator has also pleased fans by diving into GTA RP but has moved away from the game temporarily recently, focusing more on the likes of Valorant and Elden Ring. Now, some of her fans aren’t happy with the change and Valkyrae has spoken out to combat their reasoning. Valkyrae addresses upset fans for “the last time” over GTA RP After experiencing a considerable surge in views while streaming GTA RP, Valkyrae has been taking a brief break from it, leading the streamer to address fan complaints head-on about not playing the multiplayer mod. Speaking on the matter, Valkyrae began by saying: “For the millionth time I’m only going to give attention to positive chatters but for the last time please remember I’m a variety streamer.” “I love games even if I don’t play a certain game for a while & I love all my friends, even if I don’t play with all of them every day,” added the streamer. The content creator is aware of this and has said that she will be tweaking her schedule. Due to personal obligations, Valkyrae has seen some unexpected changes: “I kinda feel bad like making schedules, because I feel like schedules like that will just change… I feel bad because last week’s schedule changed a lot.” Timestamp of 33:50 It’s unclear when Valkyrae will make a return to GTA RP but we’re sure it will be worth the wait.

  • Valkyrae responds to backlash after calling person “fruity” on live stream – Dexerto

Valkyrae responds to backlash after calling person “fruity” on live stream YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streaming star Valkyrae came under fire after using the word “fruity” on a broadcast in reference to a man during a game of ‘Dating or Siblings’ with friends. The game ‘Dating or Siblings’ is quite a popular one among content creators at present. As the title suggests, it tasks players with looking at a series of photos of couples and determining whether they’re romantically involved or just siblings. During a recent session of ‘Dating or Siblings’ with friends, Valkyrae was under the impression that one couple were siblings, claiming that the male person in the photo might not be interested in the opposite sex. “This is siblings, right?” she mused. “I think Emma’s right. I think he’s fruity.” Her use of the word to describe the man was purportedly met with backlash in her chat, as the streamer went on to address some complaints from viewers who felt the term was offensive. “I also wanted to say, I saw chat was kind of freaking out about the ‘fruity’ thing,” she began. “I didn’t even know what fruity meant. I said it because Emma said it, so I thought that it was like, a term to call someone that’s gay, maybe.” “I didn’t know it was a bad thing to say,” the streamer continued. “That’s why I stopped saying it. I hope you know that obviously, none of us have any bad intentions or meant it in a way… you know what I mean? Sorry about that if that offended anyone, but I did learn my lesson. Just wanted to be clear about that.” Rae further addressed the backlash in a subsequent stream, where she also spoke on the “exhausting” fake drama between herself and a GTA RP streamer that had largely been engineered by fans. For now, it seems that Rae has addressed the issues and is moving on, although critics and viewers are still divided on her use of the term during her broadcast.

  • Valkyrae responds to backlash for playing Fortnite with SSSniperWolf – Dexerto

Valkyrae responds to backlash for playing Fortnite with SSSniperWolf Youtube: SSSniperWolf/Youtube: ValkyraeYouTube star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter received backlash for stating that she would be playing Fortnite with SSSniperWolf. Valkyrae is one of the most popular live-streamers on the internet. The YouTube star has managed to snag awards, collaborate with high-fashion brands, and even dipped her hand in business as she became a co-owner of 100 Thieves. But with the abundance of Ws, there must come moments where you take an L — whether intentionally or unintentionally. Most recently, though, Rae has come under fire for suggesting that she played Fortnite with a seemingly controversial content creator. What happened with SSSniperWolf? SSSniperwolf has been caught up in some drama as she allegedly ghosted a terminally ill fan back in December 2021 and couldn’t find the time to call her after saying that she would. Although she tweeted on December 28 that she contacted the young supporter, SSSniperwolf detractors offered their opinions on the situation. They criticized her for not initially keeping her word. Valkyrae responds to backlash for playing Fortnite with SSSniperwolf Valkyrae tweeted out on April 5, 2022, that she played Fortnite off-stream with Pokimane and SSSniperwolf. The backlash came swiftly as her community sent tweets her way questioning why Rae would ever associate herself with SSSniperwolf, confused at her seemingly carefree admission of this. Responding to an aggressive now-deleted tweet from a supporter named @Staddish_, the YouTuber tweeted, saying: “What? I wasn’t aware of her history, and I’m very much so uninformed about everybody’s past. I’m deleting it just because I don’t want controversial comments. Please don’t try to twist this in any way. “ Valkyrae explained that it’s unrealistic to know everything about everybody, but she “welcomes being informed.” What? I wasn’t aware of her history and I’m very much so uninformed about everybody’s past. I’m deleting just because I don’t want controversial comments. Please don’t try to twist this in any way. — rae☀️ (@itsraechill) April 6, 2022 In a separate tweet, the 100 Thieves co-owner doubled down on her position, tweeting: “I’m pretty unaware and uneducated about many things in life like most people, but I welcome being informed!! So plz don’t attack others for it And if you’re trying to educate others, please do it in a kind way”. Also if you could ask ur fans to stop sending me dts over a heated tweet that would be epic, I deleted it, I didn’t expect anyone to see or respond either, im sorry for starting anything — Staddish Kayla (@Staddish_) April 6, 2022 While the backlash seems to have come to a close at Valkyrae’s request, SSSniperwolf has yet to say anything about the whole ordeal. It’ll be interesting to know where their budding acquaintanceship goes from here after this backlash.

After “two years” in the pipeline, Valkyrae finally announced her very own skincare range on October 19. Known as RFLCT, her unique products hit the market as a “new kind of screen protection”. Designed to “benefit everyone who uses a screen,” the five skincare items on offer intend to “boost your skin’s defense against blue light.” There is a problem though: Social media users were quick to point out there’s a lack of conclusive evidence that supports the notion blue light has any damaging effects on our skin. Before long, the announcement was washed up in a wave of controversy, with many criticizing the products themselves and the very foundation of Valkyrae’s new company. It wasn’t long before the social media star broke her silence to address the concern. The purpose of Valkyrae’s new RFLCT skincare collection https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1450498051013943297 From your mobile phones to your televisions at home, all screens emit blue light. At its core, the RFLCT company has one goal in mind, to “protect” its users from this “potentially harmful” blue light. “It’s the skincare collection for everyone who uses a screen,” Valkyrae says herself in the RFLCT announcement video. “It’s designed to protect your skin from blue light that is emitted from all digital screens.” With products varying from a Screen Shield Defense Face Moisturizer to a Lip Guard Moisture Balm, the range intends to not just provide “protection” from blue light, but also “repair” damage already done. The company created its own custom mix of ingredients referred to as the “Blue Light Prevention Factor” in order to “boost your skin’s defenses.” “It’s like SPF, but for the screen,” the official RFLCT store explains. “Packed with vitamins and polyphenols, BLPF combats cell damage caused by blue light and other free radicals.” https://twitter.com/RFLCT_skin/status/1450589993693368321 While the initial announcement was limited just to skincare products, numerous trademarks indicate expansion plans. One filing covers “phone cases” while another touches on “cosmetic cases” such as handbags and purses. The New York-based company behind RFLCT, Blue Mistral, LLC, also has various trademarks filed for similar skincare brands ranging from “Pollution Defender” to “BARRAER.” However, the company itself admits its very purpose may be for naught. Product descriptions specifically state that blue light is “potentially harmful,” not that blue light is indisputably harmful. Multiple studies in recent years have shown that artificial blue light has no significant impact on human skin. “Compared to the emissions of the sun’s natural blue light, those of artificial blue light are virtually undetectable,” photobiologist Dr. Ludger Kolbe explained in a 2021 report. “We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable,” RFLCT’s terms of service mentions. Moreover, the company is “not responsible” if certain information on its website happens to be “inaccurate.” Backlash to Valkyrae’s RFLCT announcement Rachel, there is no, peer reviewed literature, clinically assessing the damaging effects of blue light on the skin, and certainly none presented by rflct.Your company designs trademarks aimed to fool the average consumer into believing that the product is based on genuine science — bruce u (@OFFICIAL_BRUCEU) October 19, 2021 While many of Valkyrae’s coworkers and contemporaries were quick to respond with their congratulations and praise for her new company, others weren’t so pleased by the products on offer. “Your company designs trademarks aimed to fool the average consumer into believing that the product is based on genuine science,” one follower said. “I don’t know what’s worse,” another Twitter user considered. “This scam product based on pseudoscience being sold to a bunch of impressionable 12-year-olds, or all of the other huge streamers joining in on the scam. “Whoever convinced you that this was a problem is a very good conman.” “I don’t believe a blue light is destroying your skin in the way the RFLCT product presents itself,” fellow Twitch streamer HasanAbi chimed in. “It’s just f**king soap. “This blue light sh*t is bullsh*t.” “I’ve watched some of Valkyrae’s streams, what does she know about skincare? True,” xQc said during his own broadcast on October 19. Valkyrae quietly responds to RFLCT controversy Mere hours after the RFLCT announcement — and its subsequent backlash — spread across social media, Valkyrae herself issued a response. “I was told to wait until tomorrow to speak,” Valkyrae shared on her private Twitter account ‘itsraechill.’ “I’m also very confused,” her message ended. This post was shortly removed within the hour. Valkyrae’s confusion itself is a point of contention. In previous comments, the 100 Thieves streamer was more than eager to delve into her involvement with RFLCT’s formation and the effort that went into its first batch of skincare products. “I can’t stop crying, this has been a long journey with my team,” Valkyrae explained at the time of the announcement. The YouTube star confirmed she was directly involved in the entire creation process. From the foundational days of the company, “testing samples” with those on her team, meetings with chemists, to being taken under the wing of beauty industry veteran Claudia Poccia, Valkyrae appears to have been as hands-on as possible. https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1450519698181787649 The online RFLCT store has also been subtly updated since the announcement. At first, the site confidently asserted that “blue light emitted from digital screens can damage your skin.” A few hours later, this wording was updated with further quotes from various studies. “There is mounting evidence that supports [blue light’s] contribution to photo-aging,” one referenced study outlined. For the time being, no further response has been provided by either Valkyrae or those on the RFLCT team. As it currently stands, the entire RFLCT skincare range is still available to purchase both online and in brick and mortar stores across the United States.

  • Valkyrae admits she regrets RFLCT drama: “I wish I could change everything” – Dexerto

Valkyrae admits she regrets RFLCT drama: “I wish I could change everything” YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter admitted she regrets ever launching the now-defunct RFLCT skincare line, claiming she wishes she could “go back and change everything” if it were possible. Things were on the up and up for Rae in 2o21, especially after becoming a co-owner of the prestigious 100 Thieves organization. But it quickly took a turn for the worse after she launched the controversial RFLCT skincare line. Not only was the brand terminated after evidence suggested it was based on pseudoscience, but the resulting backlash took a toll on her mental health. She’s since opened up about it once more and admitted she regrets doing it. First, Rae admitted her friends played a huge role in helping her move on. “My friends are such a blessing,” she said. “I have been helped mentally through the s**t I’ve been through. My friends have helped me get through it. Then, she explained how. “Sometimes friends give you a perspective that you just can’t see, and sometimes you know that you understand and but you’re still just stuck in your habits and stuck in your way.” She also revealed the extent of the toll the incident took on her and admitted she regretted it. “It took me longer [to move on] than I was hoping, honestly. I wish I could go back and change everything, you know?” After the backlash started piling up on her in November 2021, Rae admitted she was in a “terrible place” in terms of mental health and started seeing a therapist to help her get through it, and it appeared to work wonders on the surface. Six months on, she’s back on track and doing a lot better — thanks to the help of her friends, too. It’s evident in her streams, where she’s back to her bright and bubbly self. Still, she wishes the ordeal never happened.

  • Valkyrae responds after getting called out for wearing Fortnite x Balenciaga hoodie – Dexerto

Valkyrae responds after getting called out for wearing Fortnite x Balenciaga hoodie YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae was quick to respond after fans called her out for wearing a Fortnite x Balenciaga hoodie during a recent broadcast amid controversy surrounding the luxury brand. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is a prominent streamer on YouTube, where she boasts over 3 million followers. After presenting an award at the 2022 Game Awards, Rae is back to broadcasting as usual — but one of her recent streams caused a bit of a stir among her fans. During the stream, Rae was wearing a hoodie from Fortnite’s 2021 collaboration with Balenciaga. The hoodie itself is quite simple; it’s a basic black sweatshirt with the words ‘Fortnite x Balenciaga’ in the game’s signature font. However, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the hoodie and prodded Rae about her decision to wear it, with some pointing out the current controversy surrounding the brand. Recently, Balenciaga came under fire due to a controversial photoshoot involving young children and a Supreme Court case. The brand has since come under fire from consumers, with the company now taking legal action against the parties involved in the photoshoot. Valkyrae begs fans not to ask her to change out of Fortnite x Balenciaga hoodie amid controversy “Yes, I know Balenciaga was canceled. I understand,” Rae said in response to her fans. “But I figured no one would see it under my jacket. But a few of you have noticed, so now I feel insecure and now I feel like I need to go change.” “I already own it,” she continued. “It’s not like I’m gonna go buy more. …I thought maybe they wouldn’t notice, but people in chat noticed!” Although Rae admitted to “not knowing the full story” behind the backlash surrounding the company, she acknowledged the current controversy, but begged fans not to ask her to change out of her outfit. “Don’t make me change,” pleaded with her viewers. “I feel like you guys just wanna make me change because you can. But new leaf Rae, alright? It’s true. It’s Capricorn season, alright? It’s fine. Just don’t look!” This is far from the first time Rae has been called out by her fanbase; in October, the streamer came under fire for using AAVE, which she said she would avoid using in her apology to viewers.

  • Valkyrae recreates iconic fire meme behind the scenes of Bella Poarch’s ‘Dolls’ music video – Dexerto

Valkyrae recreates iconic fire meme behind the scenes of Bella Poarch’s ‘Dolls’ music video YouTube: ValkyraeYouTuber Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look during filming for Bella Poarch’s ‘Dolls’ music video and took the opportunity to recreate a classic meme. Bella Poarch pulled out all the stops for the music video to her single ‘Dolls’ which she created as a follow-up to her star-studded ‘Build a B*tch’ clip. Once again, we saw the return of her good friend Valkyrae whose character sadly meets an unfortunate end in the story. However, Valkyrae saw the funny side behind the scenes. One particularly fiery shot seemed all too familiar to Valkyrae and her friends so they decided to pay homage to an old-school meme. Valkyrae recreates Disaster Girl meme In a BTS YouTube video for ‘Dolls,’ Valkyrae was overlooking the chaotic set design for the music video. This included abandoned of furniture, mannequin arms, and open flames. The cameraman then pointed out that she resembled the famous ‘Disaster Girl’ meme in which a youngster eerily smiles towards the camera as mayhem ensues behind her. Valkyrae then followed suit and, as the fire burned behind her, she turned to the camera and grinned. The shoot went on to become a long day for the pair, as they had to capture the moment when Valkyrae ‘dies’ in Poarch’s arms. However, it certainly paid off in the long term. ‘Dolls’ has gone on to receive 3.6 million views on YouTube as of writing. Whereas Valkyrae’s behind-the-scenes look has already received 285k views since its release on July 16. It further proved a hit among her fans who praised the streaming star for her “cool” BTS vlogs and for producing “such amazing work.”

  • Valkyrae recreates viral ‘Luddy’ dance with Ludwig on TikTok and fans are loving it – Dexerto

Valkyrae recreates viral ‘Luddy’ dance with Ludwig on TikTok and fans are loving it ValkyraeStreaming sensation Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has impressed legions of TikTok users after her version of Ludwig’s ‘Luddy’ dance has gone viral on the popular social media app. Former Twitch streamer Ludwig has crafted hundreds of memorable moments over the years, but the creation of the ‘Luddy’ has taken on a life of its own. Sparked by a moment of lighthearted fun, the inventive dance move has been replicated by Kai Cenat, and now, many more iconic streamers such as Valkyrae have joined the trend. Not only has Valkyrae given the ‘Luddy’ a shot on TikTok, but Ludwig himself has lent a helping hand. Valkyrae and Ludwig perform ‘Luddy’ dance perfectly on TikTok Despite debuting over two years ago, Ludwig’s dance continues to find new fans, with Valkyrae amid the latest batch of people attempting to pull off the dance move. On November 7, Valkyrae surprised her followers with a flawless rendition of the ‘Luddy’ – though she wasn’t alone in her endeavor. Using TikTok’s duet feature, Valkyrae danced virtually alongside Ludwig himself as they both nailed the dance move to the tune of Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Just Wanna Rock’. “THE LUDDY!!!! I WANTED TO REDO THIS BUT YOU GOTTA SEE HOW CUTE MY DOG IS FALLING ASLEEP IN THE BACK LOL,” Valkyrae explained in her TikTok caption. Valkyrae isn’t the only streamer attempting the ‘Luddy’ either, as xQc and Amouranth graced Twitch viewers with their interpretation of Ludwig’s dancing prowess. Ludwig teamed up with fellow streamer Fusile too, encouraging her to “stand up” and give the dance a fair shot. “Well, I don’t know how to do it!” Fusile declared. Ludwig was surprised and joked that Fusile’s “theater kid” experience” could help in this situation. Fusile received expert advice from the man himself, as he laid down a step-by-step guide for his celebrated dance move. With so many streamers and fans welcoming the dance with open arms, it’s only a matter of time before it ends up in the Fortnite store. At least that’s what Ludwig wants.

  • Valkyrae puts Samsung on blast for tagging her in picture of someone else – Dexerto

Valkyrae puts Samsung on blast for tagging her in picture of someone else YouTube: 100 Thieves / Twitter/X: SamsungElectronicsValkyrae was left a little confused after Samsung tagged her in a photo that wasn’t her to promote their 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event. Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the most prominent streamers on the web. A co-founder of 100 Thieves, she’s appeared in major music videos and has even modeled merch for Gucci during the course of her illustrious career. As such, it’d make sense that many netizens might know what she looks like. She does have over 4 million YouTube subscribers, after all, and has been the platform’s most-watched female streamer since 2020. However, someone running the Samsung Twitter/X account put the wrong name to the wrong face, leading to a hilarious slip-up on social media that’s throwing Valkyrae and her fans for a major loop. Valkyrae roasts Samsung after brand mistakenly tags her in photo Samsung is currently in the midst of its Galaxy Unpacked event, which promises to unveil some of its highly-anticipated tech releases. To celebrate, Samsung posted a photo to Twitter/X with the caption: “#GalaxyAI is here. Joining #GalaxyUnpacked2024 with @Valkyrae!” However, the girl in the photo taken at the event was definitely not Valkyrae — something she couldn’t help but point out in a post of her own. “Hey Samsung, that is not me, lol,” she replied. The interaction has led to a bevy of hilarious responses from fans, most of whom are finding ways to make jokes and puns about the situation. “I think you got scammed buddy,” the official ‘Satan’ X account said. “That ain’t Valkyrae, that’s Valkyrie,” another joked. “Hmm Rae looking a little different, maybe she did her hair differently or maybe that’s just me, lmfao,” another said. Shortly after, another unfortunate post went out, this time involving Pokimane. While the picture was indeed of Pokimane, the tag on X was incorrect. Both the Valkyrae and Pokimane tweets have since been deleted, but that’s not all. Following up later in the day, Valkyrae revealed Samsung had since blocked her on the platform altogether. “I thought it was funny, relax,” she joked in light of the news.

  • The Valkyrae takeover: It’s time we crown the 100 Thieves star the “Queen of YouTube” – Dexerto

The Valkyrae takeover: It’s time we crown the 100 Thieves star the “Queen of YouTube” YouTube: MGKValkyrae has climbed to incredible heights since joining YouTube as a headline streamer in 2020 — it’s time we finally made it official, and crowned the 100 Thieves star the definitive queen of the world’s biggest video platform. It’s been a long road for Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter since the stream queen, now 29, quit her part-time job at GameStop to pursue a risky career switch. Hofstetter began her Twitch journey at 23. She built a modest following on the Amazon-owned platform and added YouTube to her repertoire soon after. Three years on, she inked a deal with Nadeshot’s growing org, 100 Thieves. YouTube poached her in an exclusive big-money deal 18 months after. Valkyrae’s rise to the top hasn’t been easy either. She has opened up in the past about her health issues, and the 100 Thieves star — like many women online — has had to deal with stalkers and over-eager fans. Even recently, the 29-year-old opened up about her ongoing battles with gut health, and an auto-immune disease that forces her to carefully watch her diet and health regimes. In early 2020, her four-year relationship also came to an end. Through all that, Valkyrae has quietly been building a massive, ever-growing fanbase. The stream queen has become her own internet sensation. There can be no denying it: Rachel Hofstetter has earned her place as the Queen of YouTube. “Queen of YouTube” isn’t a title just anyone gets, either. Valkyrae, though, is one of the modern-day stars on Google’s platform. Recently, she pipped Pokimane as the most-watched female streamer in 2020. According to StreamHatchet, Hofstetter boasted a 7,304% growth in hours watched. Then there’s her “crossover” stardom — the YouTube sensation has been involved in a number of online groups and fandoms. There’s her 100 Thieves circle, of course. Then she’s been at the heart of a number of more recent OfflineTV trends alongside Pokimane, DisguisedToast, and that content group’s star-studded lineup. And, as if that wasn’t enough, she’s even cracking the mainstream; just last week, Valkyrae had a starring role in Machine Gun Kelly’s “DAYWALKER!” video, acting out a performance piece for camera-shy feature artist Corpse Husband. Basically, everywhere you look in streaming culture, Valkyrae has left her bubbly mark. Not only that, she lifts every group and ‘crossover’ she’s a part of too. Her popularity just doesn’t seem to slow down either. In late 2020, the YouTube star was declared “the fastest-growing livestreamer in the world” by the platform’s head, Ryan Wyatt. That claim, while slightly self-serving for the Google platform, does continue to ring true five months later. Since Wyatt made that claim, Valkyrae has averaged a whopping 17,103,722 monthly views between mid-November and now, according to stats site SocialBlade. Every day, more fans flood into the 100 Thieves star’s streams. We hesitate to say “rags to riches,” but it has been a meteoric rise for the star. In early 2020 she was averaging around 4k viewers per stream; a far cry from her Twitch numbers. By the end of the year, she was regularly cracking 100k playing Among Us in mega-sized event streams. Her stunning calendar year even netted the 29-year-old the title of “Content Creator of the Year” at the ever-illustrious Game Awards, beating out megastars like NICKMERCS, Alanah Pearce, Jay-Ann Lopez, and TimtheTatman. Read More: Is Valkyrae joining OfflineTV? – Valkyrae has finally taken her well-deserved place among the streaming elite. The only thing missing now is the coronation — a fitting reward for the star. Ironically, however, Hofstetter may be the last streamer actually willing to accept the title of “Queen of YouTube.” Throughout her explosive ‘Valkyrae’ saga over the past seven plus years, the star has stayed the same: humble. In fact, Valkyrae herself still sometimes finds herself shocked about her huge career, the YouTube streamer admitted in an interview back in 2020. The amount of people that tune in to watch her, and look up to her, “blows [her] away.” Read More: How does Valkyrae make money? – “It’s amazing… Streaming is about way more than entertainment. People say it’s fun to watch,” she said. “I wouldn’t be doing it for as long as I have, if I didn’t realize what an impact it would have on people. I’m just very happy with it.” And her secret to streaming success? Well, “you just have to be your own number one fan.”

  • Valkyrae, Punz, Lazarbeam & more pitch collab ideas for MrBeast Burger menu – Dexerto

Valkyrae, Punz, Lazarbeam & more pitch collab ideas for MrBeast Burger menu Instagram: mrbeastMrBeast has been calling for fellow creators on Twitter to pitch him MrBeast Burger collab menu ideas, and people like Valkyrae, Lazerbeam, Sapnap, and more have been dropping their ideas under the viral tweet. Since 2012 Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has been uploading a huge range of popular content to YouTube, and along with branching out into gaming and philanthropy, this year the creator also launched his very own burger outlet. MrBeast Burger has expanded to over 800 restaurants, across the US, Canada, and the UK, and it doesn’t look like they’re stopping any time soon. The menu includes meals inspired by some of Jimmy’s friends like Karl Jacobs, but he’s also begun to partner up with other popular online creators like Minecraft streamer Dream for burger collabs. Now, Jimmy has used Twitter as a way to reach out to other creators to see if they would be interested in partnering up, and countless people have already started pitching what they would want to see on the menu. Streamer Valkyrae suggested “Valkyrae’s vanilla shakes” as a new item for the drinks menu, and in a reply with almost 70,000 likes, Sapnap said that he’d be interested in having a burger named after him. Lazarbeam commented a simple eyes emoji, and after MrBeast told him to DM what he wanted, he called on the help of his fans to solve his creative block. BadBoyHalo and Skeppy both seemed down for having a joint burger on the menu, as well as Punz, which along with Dream would make for a menu stacked with Minecraft streamers. There were plenty of other creators in the replies too, like GeorgeNotFound, FaZe Rug, Trainwrecks, and more, with everyone looking like they wanted in on Jimmy’s booming restaurant. Fans will no doubt be hoping that some of these collabs actually come to fruition, as the number of MrBeast restaurants begins to increase in number.

  • Valkyrae praises Pokimane as a “pioneer in the gaming industry” – Dexerto

Valkyrae praises Pokimane as a “pioneer in the gaming industry” YouTube: ValkyraeDuring her live stream, YouTuber and online personality Valkyrae shared her opinions on Pokimane, labeling her a “pioneer in the gaming industry”. When it comes to Twitch and the streaming community as a whole, there always seems to be some form of drama going on between creators. Whether it’s the ongoing gambling scandal involving Trainwrecks and xQc, or Greekgodx’s fallout with Nmplol and Malena, arguments and disagreements between streamers are always taking place. However, despite all of the drama, there are times when personalities take the time to compliment one another, as shown by YouTube streamer Valkyrae. After being asked what she thought of Pokimane, she took the time to explain why she’s so important to her and the Twitch platform as a whole. Valkyrae compliments Pokimane as a Twitch “pioneer” During her August 9 stream, Valkyrae was asked her thoughts on Pokimane by one of her viewers. Instead of answering quickly, she took the time to explain how much of a great friend she is, and even called her a “pioneer” of Twitch. Not only that, Valkyrae revealed that she thinks of Pokimane as her younger sister, as the pair were born four years apart. “I think she’s a pioneer in the gaming industry, and in the space, and I think she’s incredibly smart, incredibly beautiful, a businesswoman, talented queen… when I think of Poki I do think of her as a little sister”. Although they no longer live together, it’s obvious Pokimane and Valkyrae are incredibly close friends. Calling somebody a pioneer in the streaming space is an unbelievable compliment and shows how much respect they have for each other. It’ll be interesting to see if the pair collaborate for more projects or streams in the near future, as it’s definitely something both of their viewers would enjoy.

  • Valkyrae promises to hold friends accountable after Disguised Toast drama – Dexerto

Valkyrae promises to hold friends accountable after Disguised Toast drama Twitch: Disguised Toast / YouTube: ValkyraeIn the wake of an unexpected drama, as OfflineTV member Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang was accused of “problematic” comments, friend and fellow streamer Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter says she understands where the critics were coming from. Disguised Toast responded to the ‘cancellation’ attempt from fans, explaining that he always “toed the line” of edgy humor, but understood that sometimes his jokes could be perceived more harshly than he intended. Although he outright refuted allegations of racism or sexism, he said “moving forward, I will try to be a lil bit less edgy. But that type of humor is something I grew up with and do personally find humorous.” As a close associate and frequent collaborator with Toast, Valkyrae also received questions and even some criticism from fans over the situation, which she addressed on stream. “I understood where a lot of people were coming from, and I understand their concerns, but as a friend of Toast, I can say that he is none of those things that he has spoken about, and was accused of,” Hofstetter began. “I agree, I do think it’s distasteful. I do think sometimes he crosses the line, and he’s well aware of that.” Valkyrae also addressed criticism of her own response to the drama, where she said that she understood both sides. Some had interpreted this as condoning the “stan” behavior and cancel culture. Valkyrae said she entirely disagrees with that. But, in closing, Valkyrae did say she would try to be more understanding that certain jokes could be perceived differently to different people, and would try to help her friends see this too. “[I will] try to be more aware of these situations. I will do better with holding my friends more accountable to some jokes.” Disguised Toast also addressed the drama on his own stream, and thanked his friends, including Valkyrae, for their support.

  • Valkyrae explains why Pokimane always gets dragged into Twitch drama – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why Pokimane always gets dragged into Twitch drama YouTube: Valkyrae / Twitch: PokimaneRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has explained why she thinks Pokimane always gets dragged into Twitch drama, claiming people target her because she’s the number one female streamer in the world. On January 12, Pokimane was forced to end her Twitch stream after “hate raids” orchestrated by Jidion, another content creator, infiltrated her chat. Other streamers rushed to her defense, including xQc. Jidion claims his disdain towards her has nothing to do with gender. However, Rae believes there was another motive behind it – clout and viewership. She also thinks it’s the reason why Poki always gets dragged into drama. “The whole Poki thing that happened is so depressing,” said Rae. “I feel so bad for her. The blatant harassment and misogyny and how this dude just entirely benefits from it. I can’t stop thinking about how it works like that. “There is no one that goes through as much drama as she does because of the position that she is in. Because she is the number one female streamer in the world, she goes through this stuff because people just use her for clout.” Rae claimed that contents creators only need to mention Poki’s name in a video title to increase their viewership. “People just use her for views, and blatantly. It’s crazy! It just baffles my mind what people will do for clout and success.” Rae also said she’s in “awe” of how well Poki handles and responds to drama, describing her as “so well-spoken.” Read More: Is Valkyrae leaving YouTube? – However, she still hopes that people will stop targeting her friend. “I just can’t believe the stuff that she’s been through for the past few years.”

  • Valkyrae overtook Pokimane as most watched female streamer in 2020 – Dexerto

Valkyrae overtook Pokimane as most watched female streamer in 2020 Instagram: pokimanelol/100 ThievesA new, in-depth streaming report shows that Valkyrae is officially the biggest female streamer on the internet, even beating out the likes of Pokimane for the number one spot. Having just celebrated her 29th birthday, Valkyrae (real name Rachel Hofstetter) has shown no signs of slowing down in recent years, and her move from Twitch to YouTube at the start of 2020 has proven to be an incredible change for both herself and the YouTube streaming platform. As a variety streamer, Hofstetter is always on top of what her fans and the wider streaming audience wants to see, whether it’s Fortnite or Fall Guys, Among Us or Rust. So, it’s no surprise to see her rising the ranks, but now we know exactly how much of a success 2020 was for Valkyrae. According to a new report from Stream Hatchet, Valkyrae tops the list of most viewed female streamers, just beating Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys to the punch, with these two far exceeding the numbers put up by their closest competition. Read More: 10 best streamers of the decade – As you can see in the graphic below, it was an incredibly tight-knit race at the top, but Valkyrae’s 23.6m hours watched came out above Pokimane’s 23.3m. Scaling down the list is Korean streamer saddummy with 20.1m, Japanese VTuber Usada Pekora at 14.6m, and finally Jinnytty rounding out the top 5 with 14m hours watched. At almost 24m hours watched in 2020, Stream Hatchet say Valkyrae grew over 7,304% year on year, an almost unfathomable amount of growth in the space of 12 months. Overall, the gap between male and female streamers is continuing to close, according to Stream Hatchet. Using their stats, Valkyrae places 63rd across all streamers for hours watched, with the likes of xQc, Gaules and summit1g taking the top overall spots. Anybody could tell you that Valkyrae had an incredible year, earning herself a nomination for Streamer of the Year in the Dexerto Awards, but it’s mind blowing to see just how much she has grown and cemented her place in the livestreaming space in the last year alone.

  • Valkyrae has perfect response to fans claiming she “overhyped” new YouTube deal – Dexerto

Valkyrae has perfect response to fans claiming she “overhyped” new YouTube deal YouTube: ValkyraeRachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has come out swinging against accusations she “overhyped” her decision to stay on YouTube and milked the mystery around the end of her original streaming deal with the website. The Queen of YouTube isn’t going anywhere — Valkyrae revealed on January 31, in a tongue-in-cheek reveal video, she had officially re-signed with Google’s streaming platform. It was no surprise, especially considering the 100 Thieves co-owner’s support of YouTube over Twitch, and her eagerness to see more streamers join the red-brand website. For most, especially the 30-year-old star’s 3.6 million-strong fanbase, it was cause for celebration. For others, however, the video sparked outrage. According to a smattering of holdouts, Hofstetter’s weeks of silence and 1:01-minute reveal were “overhyping” her choice — a claim she strongly disagrees with. “I just want to say, I know there were a lot of people saying, ‘Why did she even do an announcement video if she never left?’ First of all, it was good content,” she said on January 2. “Second of all it was for fun, and third of all, it was for fun. Fourth of all, it was for fun. You know what I mean?” “This is the most extra thing I could have done. “And I’m okay with that too,” the YouTube streamer added, directly addressing the “grumpy” fans complaining. “I’m allowed to have fun, you know!” Valkyrae also took the opportunity to address another controversy that had seemingly sprung up — her “savage” response to potentially moving to Facebook, via a mug-smash. In the 100 Thieves star’s announcement clip, she can be seen hurling a blue cup (representing Facebook) to the ground, strongly declaring she doesn’t want the mug. Many took it as her stance against the blue-branded site. “I definitely have nothing against Facebook!” the streamer explained, however. “It was just for the memes, I swear. Then people started saying things like, ‘Rae’s a savage. Shots fired!’ It wasn’t that serious!” Valkyrae added she has nothing against Facebook, and just wanted to stay on YouTube: “It was a silly joke! I did smack the sh*t out of that cup, but I was joking.” Related segment begins 13:19 in video below. Dexerto can confirm Valkyrae has signed a two-year extension with the Google-owned platform, which will run through to Jan. 2024 before she hits streaming free agency again. The 30-year-old star has been a major advocate for other Twitch streamers to ditch Amazon’s famous site and join her in red over the past year. So far, Ludwig, DrLupo, and even TimTheTatman have defected already. “The streaming side of the site has a lot of room to grow,” Hofstetter said. “They’re working on it. I’m happy here. Seeing how hungry they are is exciting.”

  • Valkyrae & Pokimane celebrate as Corpse Husband song smashes major milestone – Dexerto

Valkyrae & Pokimane celebrate as Corpse Husband song smashes major milestone Valkyrae / Corpse / PokimaneCorpse Husband has revealed that his track E-Girls Are Ruining My Life has been certified Gold, and the internet has rushed to celebrate his huge achievement. The “faceless” content creator may have made a name for himself by streaming games like Among Us and creating horror videos on YouTube, but his recent dive into the music industry is proving to be just as popular with fans. Songs like Agoraphobic and debut single Miss You have all received tens of millions of streams on music services, and his recent collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly, Daywalker, hit the charts in both the US and the UK. But his single E-Girls Are Ruining My Life has just received extra-special recognition. In a tweet on July 23, Corpse Husband shared with followers that the song, which features Savage Ga$p, has been certified Gold by RIAA. That means it’s sold over 500,000 copies! The song, which was released independently by Corpse in September 2020, became the artist’s first big viral hit, and currently sits at the top of his most popular tracks on Spotify with over 160,000 streams. Read More: Why Corpse Husband’s songs are so inspiring – Plenty of friends and fellow content creators sent their congratulations to Corpse following the big news, such as streamer Pokimane, who tweeted: “YES B*TCH LET’S GOOOOO.” Valkyrae, who appeared as Corpse Husband in the DAYWALKER music video, wrote, “CONGRATS! SO PROOD OF YOU!”, while 100 Thieves streamer Brooke added, “WOOOOOO CONGRATS CORPSE!!!! WE ARE ALL SO VERY VERY VERY PROUD OF U!!!!” CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elsewhere, Corpse Husband has revealed that he’s planning his first-ever Twitch stream after hitting 900,000 followers on the platform – despite having never streamed on there before.

  • Valkyrae opens up about RFLCT drama: “I don’t want to be involved, that’s the hard part” – Dexerto

Valkyrae opens up about RFLCT drama: “I don’t want to be involved, that’s the hard part” YouTube: ValkyraeDuring a YouTube stream on October 23, 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter finally opened up about the drama surrounding RFLCT skincare and its blue light-blocking claims. As the face behind RFLCT skincare, Valkyrae immediately sparked backlash surrounding the beauty products’ claims it protects against “blue light pollution” emitted from screens without sharing the research or conclusive evidence to back it up. Many labeled it as a “scam”, causing the influencer to draw back from social media, stating that she was just as confused herself but would address everything soon. And on October 23, she did just that. Valkyrae addresses RFLCT skincare “scam” drama “It was before I announced my YouTube switch,” she began her YouTube stream with, which has since been removed within hours of going live. “I’ve been on YouTube for over a year and a half now, through UTA, which is the talent agency my manager works for. [Beauty industry reps] found me and they had a meeting with me and they said they really liked my brand, and they brought a bunch of products and samples and they asked me if there was something I was interested in, to make.” According to Valkyrae, she was skeptical of the blue light-protecting claims at first, but then was shown studies and research that showed evidence. “They ran tests for six months with chemists in labs. I saw the research with my own eyeballs, I was really excited because I thought it was groundbreaking research,” she continued. “I was excited, I thought it was going to help people. They would send me samples of products. I tested the smell, the formula, the color of the packaging. For example, the lip balm, I asked for it to be unisex, that’s why it’s matte. That was my involvement, I am not a chemist, I’ve never been to the lab in person, I’ve just seen the research.” Valkyrae claims the research can’t be published She then addressed a comment in her YouTube livestream chat asking if she knew that the website wouldn’t have published research on it. “I saw a lot of comments from people saying “Google it”… They ran their own studies, their own research. This whole time, I was under the impression that all this research that I saw was going to be on the website. When RFLCT dropped, it was crucial for there to be research but all there was was a WebMD link,” she said. “I was confused, I learned their studies can’t be publicized. That was the part I was very naïve about, I didn’t know that,” the 29-year-old explained. “It’s very hard to be a part of something where they can’t show what they’ve done. They can’t show it because the specific research can be stolen by other companies. The individual research being researched with how it works with blue light, I saw that. I am the face for it, so I am the one who gets all of it. Isn’t that crazy? I feel like if I could go back, I would have been more aware of what was going to be shown.” Valkyrae opens up about RFLCT skincare contract The streamer also shared details about her contract with RFLCT. “My original title was Creative Collaborator but I asked if I could shorten it so it looked prettier in my bio, they said I could change it to Co-Founder. I saw their research, I loved it, I thought it was so sick and I can’t wait to be a part of this,” she said, before revealing that she no longer wants to be a part of it. “I am in a bound contract. I do believe in the product but I do also wish to not be involved because the research can’t be public. That’s the hard part. And that’s the honest truth… I don’t know if I really want to continue. But I don’t know if I really have a choice.” You can watch Valkyrae’s deleted response on Mizkif’s Twitch channel. Segment begins at 2:01:37. She also shot back at “cashgrab” comments claiming that she just wanted make money. “I don’t need money. I could just straight up retire. This wasn’t about money. I saw the research, I was excited to be a part of something that felt revolutionary,” the YouTube star said. “It’s not my character, I literally sit at home all day, what do I need to spend money on?” As for why she took 100 Thieves out of her Twitter bio? “I took out 100 Thieves from my bio because they have nothing to do with it. I don’t want them to get dragged into it, they’re not involved at all.”

  • Valkyrae opens up on scary encounter with “crazy” Uber driver on New Year’s Eve – Dexerto

Valkyrae opens up on scary encounter with “crazy” Uber driver on New Year’s Eve YouTube: ValkyraeWhile many were celebrating the arrival of 2022 with friends and family, star streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter says she was dealing with a “crazy” Uber driver who terrified her during a long drive to an OfflineTV party. Valkyrae may have eventually welcomed in the New Year with fellow stream-star DisguisedToast, but 29-year-old reveals she had a “really scary” experience before that while catching an Uber to the OfflineTV house. Hofstetter told her YouTube fans she was leaving LilyPichu’s house to meet up with Toast across town, and because she had been drinking, she ordered an Uber. She quickly regretted that choice, however, when she discovered the Uber driver was “wild,” told her not to wear a mask, and “made [her] feel unsafe” throughout the entire thirty-minute trip. “It was really horrible,” the 100 Thieves star said. “I was already scared from being lost in the dark,” Valkyrae continued, “and then I get in this car and he’s raving and not wearing a mask. I felt terrified by him.” https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1477171805013958656 Valkyrae explained that she was in the car for thirty minutes, and the whole time she was worried that he might “kidnap her” or “take [me] to another country.” “It was just… I felt so unsafe,” she admitted. “He didn’t wear a mask, and was literally just talking at me for the whole ride — we’re in this car for like thirty minutes, driving — and he’s telling me he’s against vaccines, he doesn’t like masks, and all that kind of stuff. I just didn’t know what to say. So I kept agreeing ‘cause I was scared he might do something. “I ticked that option that said “quiet preferred” in the app, I had that on, and he was not preferably quiet, at all. Like thirty minutes straight I was so anxious, I didn’t want to get on his bad side. He was acting wild. “I hardly ride Ubers anymore, and I had to get this one. I had so much anxiety. It was scary! When he dropped me off I sprinted inside, so fast. So unsafe.” Thankfully, nothing happened to Valkyrae, who was able to ring in the New Year with DisguisedToast in a hilarious Twitch stream that same evening. The star has spent the last few days away from streaming, and returned on January 2 with her first broadcast of the year. “Look, I know the best solution,” Valkyrae concluded. “I have a car, I do have friends, so I won’t be catching Ubers again soon. I don’t want to, that’s for sure.”

  • Valkyrae opens up about experiencing “scary” auditory hallucinations – Dexerto

Valkyrae opens up about experiencing “scary” auditory hallucinations YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter revealed in a new stream that he has experienced multiple auditory hallucinations throughout her life, describing the experiences and the “scary” nature of them in detail. Streamers are becoming more comfortable with opening up on stream regarding their health issues. Some do it as a cathartic way of letting emotions out, while others do so to raise awareness. Hallucinations can be a terrifying experience, and Valkyrae knows that feeling. The YouTube star opened up about her past, admitting that she’s “experienced audio hallucinations before and it’s scary. It’s horrific.” The content creator added “if I’m really, really tired, I could hear actual voices. The sound of people speaking in my ears. But it’s only ever happened to me four times.” And while it may have only been four times, it’s clear that these experiences have had an impact on the content creator, her discomfort in the video as she discusses the issue palpably through the screen. However, this isn’t the first time that the content creator has opened up about her various health issues. Back in April 2022, Valkyrae spoke at length about her health struggles and how, after falling ill at Coachella 2022, she struggled to get her health back on track as a consequence of her vigorous streaming and work schedule. “Yes, I’m still sick because I scream and stream and do shoots and workout with little water and lack of sleep. I’m an idiot. Be better than me and learn from my mistakes.” These health concerns were a major factor in Valkyrae choosing to take a step back from streaming in 2022 and her decision to change up her streaming schedule and content creation moving forward.

  • Valkyrae opens up on Disguised Toast being left out of Jimmy Fallon’s Among Us game – Dexerto

Valkyrae opens up on Disguised Toast being left out of Jimmy Fallon’s Among Us game YouTube: Disguised Toast / Instagram: valjyraePopular streamer Valkyrae has said she’s “really bummed” that Disguised Toast was left out of Jimmy Fallon’s Among Us stream after she, Corpse Husband, and Sykkuno played the game with the late-night host. Among Us was one of the biggest gaming trends of 2020, sweeping countless different platforms and communities, and bringing together creators that had previously never interacted with each other. And it wasn’t just online creators who joined in the fun. Even people like US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got involved and did an Among Us stream with some of the most popular streaming creators. The latest famous face to get involved in the game is Jimmy Fallon, who hosted his own stream with creators like Valkyrae, Corpse, and Sykkuno, along with some cast members from Stranger Things. But Disguised Toast, one of the creators who boosted Among Us’s popularity to begin with, wasn’t a part of the stream. This came as a disappointment to many fans, and to Toast himself who said: “I’m always going to be fourth. It doesn’t matter what I did for the game at the beginning, it’s what is more marketable now. It’s just business.” Valkyrae has revealed she was also disappointed by the fact that her friend wasn’t included. “I was really bummed that Toast wasn’t in the Jimmy Fallon thing,” she commented. “I messaged Toast and I told him, I was like, ‘listen, if there’s ever an opportunity where I can invite people to play Among Us in a really cool opportunity, you will be the first person I ask.’” She also described him as “the face of Among Us.” The 100 Thieves star also watched a video of Toast talking about the message she sent him on stream, getting emotional at his acknowledgment. She said: “Toast, in my eyes, is like a genius, and he has like this effect, you know, where if he acknowledges something I do that’s like, smart, or cool, or something, it feels valuable to me. It feels really cool impressing Toast.” The two creators are clearly hugely supportive of each other, and even though they didn’t get to participate in the Jimmy Fallon event together, there’s no doubt that they’ll work on plenty of projects together in the future.

Valkyrae opens up about considering self harm and how she overcame it YouTube: 100 ThievesStreaming star and 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter opened up about one of the darkest times in her life where she considered harming herself, and reassured fans that light is at the end of the tunnel. From humble beginnings on Twitch to rising to 100 Thieves fame and eventually co-ownership, Valkyrae is one of the most inspirational women of the online generation, pulling in thousands of viewers per broadcast. But not everything has always been so positive for the 29-year-old, as told in a soul-bearing YouTube livestream on May 13 where the American personality revealed her past struggles with depression and considering self harm. Trigger warning: This article contains details regarding self harm, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Reader discretion is advised. Valkyrae opens up After talking about growing and being able to move past obstacles in life, the content creator began to open up about her own struggles with feeling low when she was younger. “There was a time in my life where I… Oh my gosh, I don’t know if I’ve ever actually talked about this. But I remember sitting in my room, I had a razor, I was holding it, and I remember, like, just looking at it and holding it,” she said emotionally. Read More: Valkyrae misses “good old days” of Among Us – “I was heavily considering like actually causing harm, you know?” she continued. “God, it freaks me out thinking about it. Looking back, I can’t even believe how different my life has changed from back then.” The 100 Thieves star then went on to reassure viewers that no matter how bad things might seem right now, it will get better and to hold on. “That was, like, 10 years ago and now I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” she said. “So much can change. Just because something is terrible now, it doesn’t mean that your future self is going to dwell on it. I can’t stress… You just have to really keep trying. “Different doors open, new opportunities come and go, things change in time. Perspective, too. Perspective really helps. Really understanding that everything in life can be taken as a learning lesson, and things can ground you. • Valkyrae, Ludwig, Mizkif show support for Pokimane amid clash with Ninja – Dexerto

Valkyrae, Ludwig, Mizkif show support for Pokimane amid clash with Ninja Epic Games / Instagram: PokimanelolAs Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys continues to trade blows online with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, fellow streaming superstars like Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Ludwig Ahgren have chimed in to show their support. It’s been an intense day in the streaming world as two of the biggest personalities have locked horns. While Ninja appeared to show support for JiDion, a now-banned streamer responsible for ‘hate raiding’ Pokimane, the OfflineTV member fired back in a big way. After calling Ninja out during her latest broadcast, Poki soon followed up by leaking a crucial DM. This exposed the Blevins family as they brought their legal team into the fold to combat what they deem “defamation.” With all of this happening in public view on social media, it didn’t take long for others to chime in and offer their thoughts. As the two celebs went head to head, the likes of Valkyrae, Ludwig, DisguisedToast, and plenty others commented on the situation. Streamers support Pokimane amid Ninja beef As the January 17 feud continued to heat up, personalities from all corners of the internet came out to defend Pokimane. While some like Mizkif simply typed her name to get it trending on Twitter, others like Valkyrae shared how “incredibly proud” they are of her actions. “Gonna Tier 3 [sub] to Pokimane in solidarity,” YouTuber Alpharad joked. “I don’t really have time for reality TV, so I’d just like to say thank you to streamer Twitter for filling that hole in my life,” AnneMunition added before calling Poki a “Queen.” Meanwhile, others took the opportunity to interject with memes instead of more heartfelt messages. Look no further than Myth offering to stand us as Poki’s lawyer against the Blevins’ legal team. “Views, money, and fame don’t mean a streamer has an ounce of common sense,” Ludwig stressed later in the day, evidently shading Ninja. “Don’t look up to Twitch streamers,” he said. Lumping himself into the drama, Disguised Toast even joked that his anime controversy, one that was later revealed as a big scheme, directly led to the clash between Ninja and Poki. Just about everyone has chimed in on the drama between two of the top Twitch streamers. Although leaking DMs appears to have been the final step for now, there’s no telling what might set it all off again. Rest assured, we’ll keep you on top of the story as further details emerge.

  • Valkyrae offers to pay therapy for fan who keeps “harassing” her – Dexerto

Valkyrae offers to pay therapy for fan who keeps “harassing” her YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae has offered to pay for a fan’s therapy after they continually harassed her on social media, choosing kindness despite their actions. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has become a household name in the streaming game over the course of her eight-year career as an online entertainer. Boasting over 3 million YouTube subscribers, Rae was awarded Content Creator of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards, and continues to push boundaries by securing roles in animated shows and feature films. However, being a famous internet personality isn’t all sunshine and roses, despite what Rae’s bubbly personality would have viewers believe. Over the years, Rae has had to combat several instances of backlash from critics — but this time, she’s killing them with kindness (and a little shade). Valkyrae offers to pay for fan’s therapy after repeated “harassment” On Tuesday, March 7, Rae notably liked a tweet from an account that many fans claim has continually harassed the streamer online. “Lol, it wasn’t even me in chat but thanks for letting everyone know you see all my tweets even though you blocked me six months ago!” the fan wrote in the aforementioned post. “Can’t wait to see you at Conquest! It will be amazing to meet and get a pic with my two favorite streamers, Valkyrae and Hasan!” According to the person’s posts, they seem to be convinced that Valkyrae is secretly dating fellow streamer Hasan, and openly ships the creators as a couple (despite no evidence or confirmation being given from either party involved). While this is a popular theory among fans, this particular viewer has taken their fandom a step too far — but Rae has shown that she’s open to getting them any help they might need. In a reply to another fan, Rae considered how treating them with kindness might help him to “change his ways.” “Maybe if I’m kind to him he will change his ways?’ she wrote in a witty response. “Otherwise maybe we can mass report? He definitely loves my streams and is a fan, so I want to give him a chance.” “The only thing that can save him is therapy, girl,” another fan replied. “Like should I offer to pay?” she answered. “Everybody can benefit from therapy. Maybe he needs help buying it.” Whether or not Rae actually ends up paying for the fan’s therapy (or whether or not she was just messing around) is up in the air, but it’s clear that she’s not letting his behavior bring her down. This is just the latest instance of Valkyrae dealing with harassment after claiming she blocked “like a million” of her viewers live on YouTube due to offensive replies and behavior in her chat earlier this year.

  • Valkyrae ‘leaks’ that she’s going to be in another music video – Dexerto

Valkyrae ‘leaks’ that she’s going to be in another music video YouTube: ValkyraePopular streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter revealed that she’s starring in yet another music video, teasing that this time, it might involve DJ Khaled. Since making her switch to streaming on YouTube, Valkyrae has become widely recognized as one of the top content creators around. However, when she’s not streaming, she’s been appearing in music videos with increasing regularity as well. She kicked things off by starring in the video for her pal Corpse Husband’s Daywalker track, before joining others in the Build a Bitch video from Bella Poarch. Yet, she’s not finished there. During a recent stream, the 100 Thieves co-owner was chatting to fans about what she’s been doing off-stream when she hinted at a ‘leaking’ a project. Instead of leaving her fans in the dark, Rae gave some context and revealed that she was talking about a music video. “Now I said that, I feel like I need to give you some context. I don’t need too, I’m not obligated to tell you guys anything, but I feel like I always want to tell you guys everything anyways, but I shouldn’t because I’ll be leaking but I can’t… “I have a shoot on Monday, and it is another one,” Rae said, in the style of DJ Khaled, who’s become infamous for his ‘another one’ adlibs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR1DqlDQm8M The YouTuber didn’t say if she’d be the sole star of the shoot or if she’d be joined by anyone else, but Khaled typically appears in all his own videos anyway, so Rae will likely not be alone. It remains to be seen as to exactly when fans will be able to see her in the video, but she’ll probably have more details in the coming days.

  • Valkyrae leaves YouTube fans in panic after joking about 2022 retirement plans – Dexerto

Valkyrae leaves YouTube fans in panic after joking about 2022 retirement plans YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter left her YouTube fans in a panic recently after the star streamer suggested she may retire as early as 2022 — when her current contract ends — over worries she may be too old to keep going. Valkyrae has sent her “valktwt” fandom into a tizzy recently after joking she may actually retire early next year because her 30th birthday is just around the corner. The 29-year-old 100 Thieves streamer has spoken about her exit plans before, often suggesting she would hang up the microphone when she no longer enjoyed playing games and interacting with fans, but a casual joke regarding a 2022 end went down like a lead balloon. “Look, it’s almost time to retire,” she joked. The reason, Valkyrae continued, was her age: “Really, Granny Rae will be over the hill in just a few weeks, a few weeks! The end, it’s just a few weeks now.” Valkyrae laughed at her own suggestion, but her YouTube fans were less thrilled with the suggestion, joke or no. They flooded her chat with comments begging her to think twice on what they thought was a legitimate decision. “Please Rae, I don’t want to think about it,” one wrote. Others chimed in with praise and encouragement, suggesting the YouTube star still has “many years” left in her streaming career. One even said “I’d die” multiple times in response before the chat washed the reply away. There’s no cause for concern, of course; “Granny Rae” was only joking about abruptly exiting the bright lights of streaming fame in the coming weeks. The only reason it may have shocked fans more than usual is that her YouTube contract is also on the verge of expiring, leaving her a free agent again. While it’s unlikely the end of her YouTube deal would see Valkyrae hang up the microphone, fans seemed to think it was one very possible future. Valkyrae has touched on her potential retirement plans before, revealing if she ever was to stop streaming entirely, it would be to “pivot” into business and investing. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” she revealed at the time. “There’s definitely going to be a time in my life where I pivot. I don’t want to live this way [streaming fame] for the rest of my life. I don’t know when, but it’s been on my mind. Social media especially, I just can’t stand it, it’s so difficult.” Read More: Best YouTubers of 2021: Top 5 Ranked – “All the trolls, and hate, and creepiness,” she continued. “I just don’t think this fame is that fulfilling. Valkyrae leaks her YouTube earnings on stream YouTube100 Thieves content creator Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has enjoyed a massive boom in popularity in 2020, thanks in part to her move to YouTube and the rise of Among Us. Thanks to an inadvertent leak on her livestream, Valkyrae has given fans a glimpse into what her content is earning on the platform. Recently crowned content creator of the year at The Game Awards, Valkyrae has gone from strength to strength in 2020, and is now potentially the most popular female streamer in the world, even compared with the biggest names on Twitch. Previously on Twitch too, Valkyrae signed an exclusive deal with YouTube, and so far, it has worked out very well. So well in fact, that she’s now earning upwards of $150,000 a month from her YouTube channel alone. Although YouTube earnings are typically kept totally private by creators – although not for any particular reason other than privacy (there is no rule that earnings can’t be disclosed) – Hofstetter briefly showed her creator dashboard while live. How much does Valkyrae make on YouTube? Here, alongside some very impressive stats on viewership, engagement and watch time, was an even more impressive figure – the channel’s earnings for the last 28 days. Read More: xQc mocks Twitch’s latest ToS update – To be exact, Valkyrae’s videos and streams earned her $172,908.21 in the 28 day period. This was actually a drop of 6% compared the previous period. This is thanks to a total of 36.4 million views, and 8.4 million hours of watch time. Of course, a screenshot of the leaked earnings quickly did the rounds on social media. Her success also earned her a nomination for Streamer of the Year in the 2020 Dexerto Awards, narrowly beaten by NICKMERCS. As a member of 100 Thieves and boasting a number of sponsorships, she has a diverse revenue stream. YouTube’s head of gaming, Ryan Wyatt, has said that Valkyrae became the fastest-growing streamer in the world, as Among Us generated billions of views every month. The test now for Valkyrae will be maintaining her huge audience when the Among Us hype dies down, as it’s likely to. For three months, it’s the only game she has posted, but turning Among Us fans into Valkyrae fans is all part of the process.

Beneath the two are Japanese VTuber Usada Pekora at 6.8m (the same as Poki), Korean streamer saddummy with 5.1m, and WoW and Hearthstone pro player itsHafu at 4.9m. Noting that the first major peak of 2021 was the explosion of the Rust role-playing servers, which became somewhat of a viral phenomenon, Stream Hatchet cite Valkyrae as one of the main streamers involved. This may have been the catalyst that sped up her skyrocket to fame. So while it’s pretty clear that the Poki/Rae combo will be continuing their dominance this year, there’s something about Valkyrae that viewers clearly just love to watch.

Valkyrae horrified after GameStop ex-boyfriend found her viral story clip YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter was left horrified after her GameStop ex-boyfriend sent her a DM on Twitter after her story of the two’s short relationship went viral in a 100 Thieves video. Valkyrae may have over 3.6 million subscribers on YouTube but she wasn’t always a content creator. She was an employee at GameStop before streaming became her career and, in a recent video with Nadeshot and Fuslie, she opened up about a relationship she had with a co-worker who turned out to be gay. After the clip went viral, however, the 100 Thieves co-owner was left horrified after her ex-boyfriend sent her Twitter DM. Valkyrae left horrified after Twitter DM Mentioning the 100 Thieves video where she talks about having a crush on her Gamestop coworker who turned out to be gay, Valkyrae revealed that she received a private message from the guy on Twitter. “Well, um… He DM’d me on Twitter. He saw it and he said. ‘Rae! Lmao. I love you. I just saw this and I’m dying LOL.’ He saw it! He wasn’t supposed to see that, ever,” She exclaimed. “I haven’t talked to him in literal years.” She went on to reveal that he’s happy with a boyfriend, and she wonders if it’s the same guy he began dating while they were still working on GameStop together. (Starts at 5:06:53 in Video) Valkyrae explained in the 100 Thieves video that after two months of dating, she and her boyfriend were affectionate — which made him realize he may not be attracted to women. However, Hofstetter was relieved that she was able to help him “find himself.” She explained: “I was like, ‘Oh, you know what, I could definitely tell, and that’s okay! “‘That’s great. That’s fantastic. I’m happy I could help you figure that out.’ I actually helped this guy discover himself.”

  • Valkyrae horrified after trying face swap filter with Fuslie and Sykkuno – Dexerto

Valkyrae horrified after trying face swap filter with Fuslie and Sykkuno Twitch: kkataminaYouTuber Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Twitch streamer Leslie ‘Fuslie’ Fu screamed with shock after trying out a face swap with filter with their friend Sykkuno. Streaming friends Valkyrae and Fuslie have developed a strong relationship throughout their careers and delighted fans with their many crazy adventures together. Just some of their most wholesome moments together include losing their minds over Bella Poarch’s incredible singing skills and joining LilyPichu on stage during her Comfi Beats concert. Yet another moment to be added to the long list was when the duo decided to try a face swap together. However, the results were a little more “cursed” than they were expecting. Valkyrae and Fuslie try face swap filter On August 30, Valkyrae appeared on kkatamina’s livestream with Fuslie and Sykkuno. After having spent the first part of the stream having her hair dyed, kkatamina left Fuslie and Valkyrae to cause chaos with various face filters. One which the pair tried, swapped over their faces onto the other’s bodies which had them screaming with horror along with their friends Yvonnie and natsumiii. However, it also gave the duo a chance to poke fun at themselves as they impersonated each other with some of their famous sayings and facial expressions. After urging the group to “get the holy water,” Sykkuno also decided to have a go at swapping faces with Valkyrae. But, he was so horrified with the result that he quickly jumped away. At one point, the app got confused over Valkyrae’s Corpse Husband sweater and swapped her face with Corpse’s leaving the group in hysterics. The moment proved to be a hit among the group’s fans as they cried with laughter too. Although, some admitted that the “cursed” faces did have them a little horrified like Valkyrae and her friends.

  • Valkyrae hits out at fans for “creepy” shipping of her and friends – Dexerto

Valkyrae hits out at fans for “creepy” shipping of her and friends YT: ValkyraeYouTube streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has hit out at fans for their “creepy” shipping of her and male friends, explaining that it makes her uncomfortable. Valkyrae is one of the most successful streamers on the planet. Not only is she a co-owner and content creator for Nadeshot’s 100 Thieves esports organization, she has also been YouTube’s most-watched female streamer for a number of years in a row. A May 7 broadcast saw the YouTube star grabbing some mukbang with friends, but the stream was apparently overshadowed by comments viewers made as they watched Hofstetter interact with male acquaintances. Valkyrae called out the comments shortly after the stream ended, stating that they make her and friends feel “uncomfortable” and they equate to “insanity.” “Please stop shipping me with friends,” she said on her alt Twitter account. “It’s really uncomfortable & creepy. Literally EVERY guy friend I interact with comes with some random anonymous accounts making not only the worst/wildest assumptions but they get mad when I’m not interacting with their “favorite”. Insanity.” Not only do the accusations start false rumors, but they also turn toxic if Valkyrae acts in a way not compatible with viewer assumptions. https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1523158722926710784?s=21&t=xRzie8p-HFW0HLx8m6RLuA It’s not the first time Valkyrae has had to call on fans to stop inappropriately shipping her with another member of the gaming community. Back in early 2021, she criticized fans for shipping her with Minecraft creator Dream, calling it “terrible”. We’ve also seen similar controversies with male streamers, most notably when Ninja stated he would not stream with other women out of respect for his wife. Some stood by the Fortnite star but others suggested his stance was sexist. Here’s hoping that, moving forwards, fans can just enjoy streamers’ interactions with their friends for what they are.

  • Valkyrae hits out at “terrible” fans for shipping her with Dream – Dexerto

Valkyrae hits out at “terrible” fans for shipping her with Dream YouTube: Valkyrae, DreamMassively popular YouTube streamer Valkyrae has hit out at fans for “shipping” her with fellow YouTuber Dream after a donator left a concerning message about the situation in Pokimane’s Twitch chat. In 2020, 29-year-old Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter was awarded Content Creator of the Year, having amassed a jaw-dropping 23.6 million hours watched on her channel by fans — as well as an impressive growth of over 7,304%. With this in mind, it comes as little surprise that Rae boasts a huge fanbase and often interacts with other content creators, but living in the internet limelight isn’t always sunshine and roses. Between dealing with harassment from stalkers and combatting a severely toxic chat during Rust streams with other broadcasters, Rae has, unfortunately, seen the best and worst sides of online fame — but sometimes, certain situations can get weirder than others. During a February Valorant broadcast, fellow Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys alerted Valkyrae to an especially odd donation from a viewer that left her feeling completely grossed out. “By the way, Rae, someone donated to me to tell you that your username is like, your ship name with Dream,” Poki explained, referencing the 21-year-old Minecraft YouTuber of the same name. “That’s the worst thing I ever heard!” creator Michael Reeves chimed in. “No, it’s not!” Valkyrae objected before breaking out into shocked laugher. “That’s terrible! I’m almost thirty! Shut the f**k up! Are you kidding me? That’s a terrible, terrible thing to say!” While this is far from the first time creators have been “shipped” with one another — meaning that fans will “pair” them together for a proposed romantic relationship — it seems that this suggestion sent Valkyrae over the edge due to their eight-year age difference. “Okay, now donate to me and say the same thing!” Valkyrae joked. The interaction, thus far, has prompted quite the conversation among fans as to how that idea ever came about, with many noting that Rae and Dream barely interact, at all. However, there’s no denying that Rae is not into the suggestion, whatsoever.

  • Valkyrae hits back at viewer saying she looks tired without makeup – Dexerto

Valkyrae hits back at viewer saying she looks tired without makeup YouTube: ValkyraeBeing a big-time streamer means sharing your face with potentially hundreds of thousands of viewers on a near-daily basis — but not every comment about their appearances is a welcomed one. Valkyrae is one of the biggest streamers on the internet right now. After signing an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube in 2020, she went on to be awarded Content Creator of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards. As such, it makes sense that Valkyrae rakes in an impressive amount of viewers who tune into her broadcasts on a daily basis. Like many of her fellow content creators, Valkyrae is not a “faceless” influencer — meaning that everyone knows what she looks like, since she shares her camera during streams. However, sharing your face with the world can lead to some unsolicited comments and advice, as just about every single streamer knows, and Valkyrae is just the latest to suffer this phenomenon. During a recent broadcast, one viewer mentioned that it looked like Valkyrae “needed some sleep.” This immediately prompted the streamer to zoom into her webcam and put her face directly in the frame before going on to explain that she wasn’t wearing any makeup that day, and was, in fact, tired of wearing it at all. “It’s because I don’t have makeup on,” she said. “You know what? Your E-Girl crush that you think is all natural actually has makeup on. Okay? Listen. I’m just sick of putting on makeup, alright? It’s my natural face!” This is far from the first time a female streamer has gotten some negative comments for going bare-faced — who could forget the infamous Pokimane incident of 2018? — but luckily, Rae’s fanbase was quick to show positivity after the viewer’s comment was addressed. While it’s an unfortunate reality that just about any content creator who shares themselves with the internet will get some kind of snarky remarks about their looks, it’s good to know that Rae has such a supportive fanbase when things like this come up… and she’s clearly not afraid to call them out!

  • Valkyrae wants to help Twitch streamer that reminds her of Corpse Husband – Dexerto

Valkyrae wants to help Twitch streamer that reminds her of Corpse Husband Twitter: Valkyrae, Twitter: CorpseHusbandRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has chosen to help out new Twitch streamer error8D after his dedication to honing his skills reminded her of Corpse Husband. When it comes to uplifting others, YouTube star and 100 Thieves Co-Owner, Valkyrae, is a master. Her openness about her previous mental health issues and streamer struggles have inspired countless fans all across the globe. It turns out, though, that there’s a new streamer in town that Rae wants to bring to our attention. Error8D is incredibly new to Twitch, but for having only three streams under his belt he’s picked up 13.6k followers since Rae mentioned him on-stream. There’s one reason that the YouTube star is so determined to promote his success, however, and that’s because he reminds her of Corpse Husband. Error8D reminds Rae of Corpse When discussing error8D, Rae explains that one of the reasons she’s been so impressed by the GTA RP streamer is his unrelenting dedication to streaming. “I messaged him last night and I said ‘here’s a list of things you need to do: make a Twitter, make some Twitch panels, and set up alerts,’ and this dude did all three of these things. He listened to me.” This passion reminds her of one specific person: Corpse Husband. “Y’know who he reminds me of? Corpse, because Corpse listened to me when I told him advice. These people are listening to my advice.” She then confesses: “I feel like I need to become an agent, I feel like when I’m older I could become an agent and help creators become creators. I feel like I can see when someone has it.” (Topic begins at 14:26) As Rae continues on her GTA RP journey with error8D by her side, it’ll be interesting to see how he continues to grow. If it’s anything like herself and Corpse, he’ll be a household name for streamer fans everywhere. With the amigops reuniting to take to the high seas of Dread Hunger, we might get to see Rae’s new favorite streamer make an appearance if there are any further collab streams. Until then, though, we’ll catch him causing chaos alongside Rae.

  • Valkyrae hits back at “disrespectful” Logan Paul dating rumors – Dexerto

Valkyrae hits back at “disrespectful” Logan Paul dating rumors Logan Paul IG / Valkyrae Twitter / Mike Majlak IGMegastar YouTube streamer Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has addressed the speculation circulating about Logan Paul being interested in her romantically, saying that she “felt disrespected/forced to make things clear” when she responded to the rumors the first time. If you thought 2020 couldn’t get any odder for the gaming world, Valkyrae and Logan Paul being linked in some surprising potential romance might have to take the cake. When Impaulsive Podcast co-host Mike Majlak was seen telling 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag that Logan Paul had been “asking” about Valkyrae and whether or not she was in a relationship, it opened a can of worms that’s still yet to be closed back, apparently. The streaming star tweeted out a response at the time, not once but twice, making it very clear that she wasn’t interested. Paul even responded to her tweet with a funny GIF, letting it be known that he was disappointed. After several days, Valkyrae felt the need to address the topic again, this time with a bit more seriousness in her tone. Apparently, according to the 100 Thieves content creator, some fans did not appreciate the way she responded the first time, even though the whole situation had made her feel disrespected enough to react in such manner. “Logan’s friend asks my BOSS about my relationship status PUBLICLY forcing me to respond to people speculating/spreading rumors,” she tweeted. “People disliked the way I responded but I felt disrespected/forced to make things clear.” She did clarify further that she has no ill will towards the older Paul brother, while also issuing an apology: “I’m sorry for responding immaturely, I don’t have anything against Logan.” https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1337846048098721792 Majlak, who initiated this whole domino effect with a seemingly innocent question to Nadeshot, replied to Valkyrae’s latest tweet to let her know that she doesn’t have to apologize and that the whole thing was meant to be a joke. “Rae you don’t have to apologize to anyone, this was all supposed to be a joke and it sucks that the CREATOR OF THE YEAR has to respond to our BS,” he wrote. “Matt is a good friend and he knew I was messing around. I’m not new here, if it was serious that would never be done on camera.” We already knew how her fans felt from the first time this whole thing went down; “DON’T COME NEAR VALKY” someone wrote, while another sent out a playful threat: “He won’t survive 3 days if he goes near her… that is not a threat, that is a promise.” Hopefully, for Valkyrae’s sake and everyone else involved, this is the last time the topic gets brought up publicly on social media and she feels compelled to address it.

  • Valkyrae has plans to release her own songs after big year of music cameos – Dexerto

Valkyrae has plans to release her own songs after big year of music cameos Instagram: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has announced plans to release her own songs in 2022, following the queen of YouTube’s cameo-filled last year that saw her team up with Corpse Husband, MGK, and Bella Poarch in several music videos. Internet celebrities turning their online fame into a bid at musical stardom has become a major trend in recent years, and Valkyrae is jumping on the bandwagon. The 100 Thieves owner had two major music roles last year, first appearing in MGK and Corpse Husband’s “Daywalker” video — playing streaming friend Corpse — and then starring alongside TikToker-turned-songstress Bella Poarch in the fiery “Build a Bitch” music video soon after. The experiences inspired Valkyrae to make her own music. “This year, I’m going to release my own single,” the YouTuber promised in her first 2022 stream. “That’s pretty much the first thing I’ve started for the year.” YouTube’s stream-queen revealed her music plans early on in her January 2 return, explaining the song-writing ball was already rolling behind the scenes. “Yeah things have got started there,” Valkyrae said. “I’ve been talking to Brodin [Plett, OfflineTV’s in-house producer] and Wendy [streamer Natsumiii] about making a song, and so we’re in the process of doing that now.” Natsumiii originally tried to get Valkyrae into a recording booth last year, and after months of pestering the 29-year-old streamer appears to have folded. According to the YouTuber, the track details have yet to be settled on, but it’s likely going to be “something original” rather than a cover song. “They were both super down,” she added. “So we’re starting to work on that. It’ll be for funsies to begin with, I don’t want to make it into anything too serious.” Can Valkyrae actually sing? Valkyrae’s declaration has left many YouTube fans asking one thing — can the star streamer actually sing, or will the tracks be highly produced in post? The 29-year-old has regularly denied being able to sing, but duo streams with Natsumiii suggest differently, which hosts of Valktwt fans have pointed out. Until then, fans can relive her roles in Machine Gun Kelly’s Daywalker music clip — Hofstetter plays Corpse perfectly — and Bella Poarch’s Build a Bitch video.

Valkyrae has unexpected response to fans comparing her to a Chihuahua Unsplash.com: Gregory Murphy / YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter was taken aback as some of her fans took to Twitter to compare her to a… Chihuahua? As one of the most popular streamers and content creators in the space, Valkyrae has been able to reach a wide variety of people, leading to an wide following of over 3.6 million subscribers. Her fans are known for giving the creator major support, going as far as giving the 30-year-old a perfect birthday surprise earlier this year. However, this time around, instead of praise and appreciation from her followers, the YouTube star found herself on the side of some lighthearted joking. Valkyrae reacts to fans comparing her to a Chihuahua During one of her recent April streams, it came to Valkyrae’s attention that her fans were comparing the content creator to a Chihuahua. “So, I was just minding my own business,” she laughed. “Browsing Twitter, and I also see on the Rae Twitter page: ‘If Rae were a dog breed, what would she be?’” To her surprise, according to the streamer, the vast majority of her fans viewed her as a Chihuahua, which had her adamantly disagreeing. “I do not give off full Chihuahua energy, okay?” Rae said. “I am more than that, ‘kay? I am way more than that. I’ll have you know.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q52uPBmiNS0 Not satisfied with the Chihuahua comparison, Valkyrae went on to give her take on what dog she’d actually be like — and although she gave a completely different breed, Rae still ended up adding a bit of a Chihuahua, anyways. “I think I’m more of a Rottweiler — a Rottweiler Chihuahua mix, maybe.” While being compared to a Chihuahua isn’t exactly ideal for the streamer, maybe Rae’s thoughts of being a more menacing dog could help her in her role as a villain in Funimation’s Tribe Nine anime.

  • Twitter takes action after Valkyrae reports harassment from stalker on social media – Dexerto

Twitter takes action after Valkyrae reports harassment from stalker on social media YouTube/Valkyrae100 Thieves member and streamer Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter was forced to turn her Twitter account private, due to what she calls a “delusional stalker,” who has made hundreds of accounts to evade her blocks. A hugely successful 2020 has seen Valkyrae become the most-watched female streamer in the world, overtaking Twitch’s number one, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys. Valkyrae, previously also a Twitch streamer, moved to YouTube exclusively, and it’s a switch that has certainly paid off. Rising to streaming superstardom with the popularity of Among Us, she now boasts almost 3 million subscribers. However, one downside to this enormous success is the unwanted attention – specifically a problem for female content creators, Valkyrae is the target of a stalker. Dexerto has previously covered some of the stories from other prominent female streamers, including Sweet_Anita and xChocoBars, who called on more police action to be taken against stalkers. Read More: LilyPichu exposes racist abuse she receives – Valkyrae’s 100 Thieves compatriot BrookeAB has also been the victim of stalking, forcing her to take months away from streaming, and social media generally. Valkyrae’s Twitter goes private On January 13, Valkyrae explained why she had suddenly made her Twitter account, with over 1.6 million followers, private. “Unfortunately have to keep my account private until this delusional stalker dies. He’s made hundreds of accounts for months.” Because the stalker can simply make a new account every time they are blocked, Valkyrae has no option to prevent them from following her other than stopping all new followers totally. Read More: Corpse Husband fan gets tattoo of his breath – Valkyrae also called on Twitter to implement a feature whereby all accounts on the same device are blocked, when an account is blocked. However, even this wouldn’t be able to stop a determined stalker from simply gaining access through another device. Luckily, it seems the issue was handled by Twitter shortly thereafter, as evidenced by a Tweet Rae posted nearly nine hours later. In the post, Rae thanked Twitter and wished her followers good morning from her now non-private account, hinting that her stalker has been effectively dealt with. hehehehehehehehehe thanks Twitter Goodmorning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! — RAE (@Valkyrae) January 13, 2021 Social media is crucial for any content creator, and Rae not being able to grow her following and interact with new fans was far from ideal. As she is far from the only creator to deal with this problem, it’s hopeful that such measures can be implemented more regularly in the future, considering Twitter’s latest action against Rae’s stalker.

  • Valkyrae has no plans to stop making content: “I’ll be streaming when I’m 80” – Dexerto

Valkyrae has no plans to stop making content: “I’ll be streaming when I’m 80” YouTube: ValkyraeValkyrae recently spoke out about the way her content creation has changed, revealing that she can’t ever see herself fully stepping away and putting a stop to making content for good. In a recent YouTube Q&A, Valkyrae was asked if she has any plans to fully step away from content creation and if so, when that would likely happen. For fans, her response is a promising one and indicates that she is likely to continue producing content for a long while. “I don’t know, I always tell chat that I don’t ever see myself truly ending streaming because I feel like, you know, I’ve been gaming my whole life, so I’m always going to play,” she began. Valkyrae then added that, “I’ll be interested in games for a long time. There’s going to be probably like a really cool game that comes out in 50 years, and so I’m obviously going to play. And if I’m going to play any games, I might as well stream it. So I feel like I’ll be streaming when I’m 80!” She then jokingly said that as she gets older she’ll become the “cool aunty” while all her “friends will have kids.” In June 2022, Valkyrae made waves when she announced she would be taking a “very long break” from her normal Youtube streaming content. Since this announcement, the popular content creator has still been producing videos but has very much changed up the normal schedule and style content viewers have come to expect. In the same Q&A, Valkyrae also added that while her old content schedule may stop for good, the vlog style content she is making now is, in some ways, the next step in her content creation journey and career. “Making content is fun and I feel like this is the rejuvenation of the YouTube channel, filming sit-down videos for once. I don’t think it’ll ever really end.”

Valkyrae floored after realizing how “buff” Sykkuno was during gym session Twitch: Sykunno, Youtube: ValkyraeThe long-standing friendship between Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Sykunno still leaves them finding new things out about each other, with Valkyrae ‘shocked’ by Sykunno’s performance in the gym. In the midst of her May 11 broadcast, Twitch streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae was speaking to her chat about her refusal to attend Electric Daisy Carnival. Claiming “I can’t live this way. I don’t wanna go.” Joking that she was “still recovering from Coachella,” Rae explained that her current pain was actually due to a workout the day prior. Hofstetter continued with her description of said gym session with recent YouTube convert Sykkuno, saying “Sykkuno is buff. He did so many pull-ups!” Continuing to talk about the unexpected strength of the soft-spoken streamer, Hofstetter claimed it was “kinda scary.” Talking to the surprising nature of Sykkuno being physically fit, Valkyrae cheekily poked fun at her friend “I’ve never seen this man use his legs.” Closing out her description in a way that’s bound to capture the imagination Rae said “you know when he’s on stream and it’s just his head? He has other parts of him, that function!” Valkyrae reached out to the friend they’d been working out with to talk over how jacked they’d found Sykkuno in the workout the day before. After talking about the 6-7 pull-ups that Sykkuno had done, Rae brought up a previous time she’d encountered the unanticipated muscle of the internet’s friendliest streamer. • Valkyrae gets fright of her life as centipede ruins Valorant stream – Dexerto

Valkyrae gets fright of her life as centipede ruins Valorant stream 100 Thieves (YouTube)A casual Valorant stream took a turn for the worse after Valkyrae discovered a rather larger centipede that wanted in on the action. 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae hasn’t streamed on her own channel in a little over a week. However, that doesn’t mean she can’t be found gaming and chatting on other people’s streams. Rae announced her break from streaming on January 14. She didn’t state how long she’d be gone, only that it would be a while before the announcement video for a potential platform move would be ready. She stated she wouldn’t be able to return to streaming until the announcement video was live. However, if you tune in to Sykkuno, Pokimane, or Fuslie’s streams, you might hear Rae chatting with her friends. In this case, viewers heard Valkyrae freak out as her personal space was invaded by a centipede. Valkyrae’s encounter with a centipede On January 24th, following a long GTA role-play session, Twitch streamer Fuslie joined Rae, Sykkuno, and others to play Valorant. At the beginning of the seventh round, before the buy phase ended, a hysterical Valkyrae could be heard over Discord. Rae’s character immediately went AFK, and Fuslie was quick to ask what had happened. “There’s a giant centipede in my room! It’s huge! It’s huge!” Valkyrae screeched over coms. “It’s making me itchy!” Her friends were quick to offer their sage advice. Ramee suggested that she leave the room and not return for three days. Fuslie repeatedly told Rae she needed to move out of her house. A few moments later, Valkyrae shared a photo with the group which caused further panic to ensue. Both Fuslie and Rae exchanged screams while Sykkuno questioned whether or not the bug was real. Luckily, she took care of the unruly centipede – but not before it cost the team to lose a 6 – 2 lead. The game went into overtime twice, but thanks to the disposal of the insect, Valkyrae and friends managed to squash their opponents. Valkyrae finally gives her fans a name and it’s a familiar one YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube superstar Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has finally settled on a name for her fanbase, after several years of streaming. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s following is a feat not be scoffed at. With over 3.70 million YouTube subscribers and 2.9 million Twitter followers, the streaming legend has amassed a loyal legion of fans. While celebrities like Lady Gaga or Logan Paul have dubbed their fans ‘Little Monsters’ or ‘Logangsters’, Valkyrae hasn’t given her avid viewers a fandom name…until now. Valkyrae finally decides on an “official” fandom name During her August 6 YouTube stream, Valkyrae landed on the topic of her fandom’s name. Despite testing the waters with some initial ideas over the years, in a spark of joy, the time had finally come to settle on something permanent. Responding to a comment on her stream, Valkyrae initially said “we’re the ‘Raebies’ now?” Despite apprehensive to land a name, the streamer followed the question by saying “yeah, at this point it only makes sense.” “Yeah, you know what! We are the ‘Raebies’, guys I have a confirmed community name after seven years!” continued Valkyrae. The streamer added, “after seven year it is official, we are now officially the ‘Raebies’!” Valkyrae claimed that she had “always rejected” the name, even in the face of fans continuing to demonstrate its appeal. The choice of name certainly sparked light-hearted questioning from her fellow streamers, Natsumiii and Sykkuno: “Your community like being called ‘Raebies’?” Valkyrae jokingly said, “we’re gonna infect sh*t and raid with our disease!” It’ll definitely be interesting to see where the name sticks, but for now, Valkyrae fans can rest assured as the ‘Raebies’ stand together for the future of her streaming adventures. In the meantime, the ‘Raebies’ have been celebrating the YouTuber’s status as an Among Us “icon”, as she celebrated a significant milestone within the smash hit multiplayer game.

  • Valkyrae fans praise YouTube star for promoting realistic beauty standards – Dexerto

Valkyrae fans praise YouTube star for promoting realistic beauty standards YouTube: ValkyrieRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s fans praised her for promoting realistic beauty standards by courageously showing them how her skin looks underneath all the makeup despite feeling “insecure” about it. The internet is a place where unrealistic beauty standards run rampant, not only on social media but also in the streaming industry. After all, people typically want to look their best in front of the camera, especially when it’s on them for hours on end. Rae isn’t an exception to the rule. However, she was open and honest about her makeup usage on stream, revealing she uses it to cover up her acne. Then, she showed fans a glimpse of how her skin really looks, and they praised her for it. “I wanted to show you guys my skin,” she said. “I know it looks like I’m flawless, but let me show you what I’ve been dealing with, and I’m honestly really insecure about it. My skin under my makeup is so bad.” However, despite those insecurities, she mustered the courage to pull out her phone to show fans a candid picture of her cheek without makeup. “Look at my skin,” she exclaimed, while holding it up in front of the camera. Rae also revealed the impact putting on makeup for streams has had on it. “I keep putting makeup on to stream and do shoots and stuff,” she explained. “It’s an endless cycle of putting makeup on acne. It sucks!” The relevant part of the video begins at 10:40. Rae’s fans commended her for being open and honest about it. “So grateful to see Rae showing people that no one is perfect and that the photos we see of her are edited and use filters, and she wears cover-up makeup,” said one fan. “It’s really cool of Rae to show her audience that even the most famous streamers and celebrities don’t actually look perfect all the time,” said another. “As someone who struggles with acne and scarring, I found it nice to be able to relate to her.” It was similar to the time when Pokimane was praised by fans for hosting a no make-up stream in October 2018 in a bid to promote realistic beauty standards, although she was later criticized for using it to flex her wealth.

  • Valkyrae is fed up with constant YouTube viewer demands: “I feel like a zoo animal” – Dexerto

Valkyrae is fed up with constant YouTube viewer demands: “I feel like a zoo animal” YouTube: ValkyraeRachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter is fed up with her YouTube viewers making constant demands while she’s streaming, admitting she “feels like a zoo animal” and struggles to stay in a good mood when her chat turns against her. Valkyrae is no stranger to thousands tuning in to watch her stream games like Minecraft, GTA, and Among Us. She is, after all, the “Queen of YouTube.” With more and more fans, however, comes higher expectations. Some fans simply want to see her play Among Us all day. Others would prefer she dive into Minecraft and GTA RP for hours on end. There’s even a loyal Valkyrae brigade that wants to see Hofstetter just chatting with her viewers the entire time. The constant demands have Valkyrae “fed up.” The problem, the YouTube star explained, is that her chat turning against her to make demands about what she plays often, reasonable or not, ruins her moods. It has her feeling like a “zoo animal” instead of a streamer. The issue came to a head again during her June 2 broadcast, when Hofstetter found herself torn between playing Minecraft with her OfflineTV friends, and a GTA RP court case that she had promised to attend as her character, Ray. “Sometimes I just feel like a zoo animal,” she admitted. “Like a monkey you throw food at, tell it to do a trick, and when it doesn’t do what you want, you hate it.” The main issue Hofstetter often struggles with is that a vocal minority in the chat can begin demanding she do something different — what they “really” want her to play — and the rest of her YouTube fans will take it and run. The spam, she adds, makes her “a little resentful.” “Let’s get this straight: I’m not doing this for anyone. I think I’m going to leave my chat in members-only mode, seeing stuff like that just ruins my mood,” she said. “It’s stupid because I’ve been practicing to make sure that my chat doesn’t ruin my mood, but these ugly comments, fabricated lies, they make it worse.” Valkyrae continued: “After today, I’m going to do my best to ignore those kinds of things in chat. I hate when it ruins my mood. I’m not as happy as I was earlier.” “Someone pointed out to me that, sure, the comments in chat aren’t crippling, but they do affect me. And yes, they don’t affect me badly, but they change my mood, and I don’t want my chatroom to have that kind of power over me. “I want to have a consistent, happy, good stream the whole time. I don’t want to be excited, then go to down and stressed out. I’ll have to work on it.” It’s not everyone in chat though, she concedes. “Honestly, I feel like it’s just a vocal minority,” added Valkyrae. “I understand that the majority of chat is just chilling, having a good time, enjoying each game. A lot of people enjoy what I’m doing in the moment, no matter what. I just felt like I had to talk about it today; it was quite a bit worse than it’s been lately. “It’s just a vocal minority, but the vocal minority consumes the chat and it’s just so frustrating. I do understand that it’s just a small few though.”

Valkyrae and her fellow ‘Amigops’ are famed for their fun and wholesome antics during their livestreams together, especially their Sussy Sundays. Her friendship with streamer and singer Corpse Husband has particularly won the hearts of their fanbases with the duo regularly showing their support to one another. Such as, when Corpse hit huge success with ‘E-Girls Are Ruining My Life’ and when Valkyrae appeared in the ‘DAYWALKER!’ music video. So, it’s no surprise that a short animation transforming one of their streams together into an IRL meet-up between the two quickly gained a lot of attention. Valkyrae and Corpse Husband fans lose it over short animation Animator and editor ‘Dave‘, who has made a plethora of short clips based around Valkyrae’s livestreams, shared his latest creation on August 21. In the clip, Valkyrae is horrified after coming face-to-face with Vtuber ‘shxtou’ during a playthrough of horror game ‘Friday the 13th’. However, after getting her to “bark” for him he decides to let her go. She then quickly runs over to Corpse to express her shame at having to bark for her release. However, he also couldn’t hide his dismay: “That is pretty bad, Rae. I’m not going to lie to you.” The clip instantly proved a hit among Twitter users, picking up 151.1k views and 15.4K likes, as of writing. Many also praised bbambooty’s editing using the audio from the original clip. The moment had fans in hysterics, particularly thanks to Valkyrae’s dismay over being a “megabottom” after being outsmarted by shxtou. One fan also appreciated the “height accuracy” of the streamers depicted in Dave’s work. Another grateful viewer also said: “These are the best! Thank you Rae and co for the laughs and thank you Dave for the animations.” Valkyrae may have jumped out of her skin during the playthrough. However, it did capture a moment that has warmed the hearts of her fanbase.

Being housemates, the duo have shared some incredibly heartwarming moments, including appearing as twin characters in the Tribe Nine anime TV series and Sykkuno helping Valkyrae with her anxiety during The Streamer Awards. So, it’s no surprise that a sweet moment between the two during Sykkuno’s YouTube announcement video sent fans into a frenzy. Valkyrae fans lose it over Sykkuno picture Sykkuno sent shockwaves across the streaming community after he revealed that he was leaving Twitch for YouTube. Sharing the news via a glossy announcement video, his fans were elated to see a small cameo from YouTuber Valkyrae. Following on from the announcement, Valkyrae posted a YouTube video showing a BTS look at how Sykkuno’s video was made. She also shared a clip from Sykkuno’s merchandise photoshoot, which featured herself, Disguised Toast, and Pokimane posing for the cameras. However, it was when Valkyrae and Sykkuno hugged as she wrapped filming her cameo in his platform announcement clip that fans went wild for. Posting a screenshot featuring the wholesome moment on Twitter, Valkyrae joked: “He finally hugged me back after all these years lol.” and yes.. he finally hugged me back after all these years lol 🥲 pic.twitter.com/88ZfRNpllc — RAE (@Valkyrae) May 2, 2022 The picture quickly gained traction with 148.7K Likes, as of writing, along with over 900 comments from fans responding to the photo. The reason for the commotion over such a simple hug, is that throughout their years of friendship, Sykkuno rarely, if ever, reciprocates hugs – instead standing rather awkwardly and just allowing himself to be hugged instead. Although, some of Valkyrae’s fellow streamers decided to poke fun at the YouTuber claiming that they have had more “hugs” from Sykkuno than she has. For example, Hasan tweeted: “I hug him all the time.” Whereas, Karl Jacobs said: “Rae, I literally hugged him before we all ate Korean BBQ.” Rae I literally hugged him before we all ate Korean BBQ LMAOOOOOO— karl 🙂 (@KarlJacobs_) May 2, 2022 Sykkuno has a strong circle of friends supporting him in his next adventure on YouTube. Valkyrae, once an avid Twitch streamer, has become a household name on YouTube after signing an official, exclusive broadcasting contract with the platform in January. It seems that her unprecedented rise to fame has been noted by a few other influencers — including white collar boxer Logan Paul, who is apparently eyeing the streamer as a potential romantic partner. Coming off the breakthrough announcement of his upcoming exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather, Paul’s friend and co-host Mike Majlak revealed his purported intentions toward Rae during a December 8 episode of Majlak’s ‘Night Shift’ YouTube series. That being said, Paul apparently already has his eye on another girl, as Majlak hinted during the episode. “Logan is like, recently single too, and he keeps asking me about Valkyrae,” Majlak explained. “Is she single?” (Topic begins at 5:30) Nadeshot relayed that, to his knowledge, Rae isn’t currently seeing anyone, leading to a humorous conversation between the two as to her interests; but it doesn’t look like the internet is too enthusiastic about this possibility. Many commenters lashed out at Nadeshot for even entertaining the idea, with one user writing: “I’m not the overly woke type and I’m a fan of Nade, but it’s weird as hell to be talking about an employee in this manner.” Still others warned Logan Paul to “stay away” from Rae, implying that they would take some sort of action against the star if he tried to make a move on her. He won’t survive 3 days if he goes near her…. that is not a threat that is a promise — smulzy (@Smulzy) December 8, 2020 Valkyrae has now spoken out about the situation, and her stance on the subject is quite clear: she’s not interested, at all. https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1336429214866702336?s=20 Sorry, Logan — looks like you’ll have to look elsewhere for a streamer girlfriend!

Valkyrae exposes “sick” DMs from thirsty fans YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter berated fans sending her “sick” messages in her Instagram DMs, explaining why a swift block might come their way as a result. Valkyrae is one of the net’s most popular live streamers. After switching platforms from Twitch to YouTube in 2020, Rae earned Content Creator of the Year at the Game Awards that same year. Since then, she’s managed to appear in a music video with Machine Gun Kelly, collaborated with Gucci, and even became co-owner of esports and entertainment group 100 Thieves. Despite having millions of adoring fans, online fame certainly comes with its caveats — one of those being the occasional wild DM from an overzealous viewer. Valkyrae slams “sick” fans sending her creepy Instagram DMs Valkyrae opened up about these sorts of messages in a recent broadcast, explaining to viewers why she’s ready to hit anyone who sends her “sick” messages with a swift block. “We need to have another talk,” she began. “Some of you are sick. I decided to open up my DMs. The very first one I saw… it was from a person who was having full blown conversations with themselves about how much they’re in love with me.” “How much they know they’re the best for me, how much they know me better than I do,” she continued. “Sending me pictures, but it’s all blurred out, I didn’t open any of them. Just really weird. Weird!” Valkyrae explained that the fan’s messages had been going on for “days” before saying that she’d ultimately blocked the person — along with any other accounts they make in the future. • Valkyrae explains why YouTube banned Ludwig: “It would have happened on Twitch” – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why YouTube banned Ludwig: “It would have happened on Twitch” YouTube: Valkyrae / LudwigValkyrae weighed in on Ludwig receiving a ban on YouTube just a couple of days after joining the platform. According to the 100 Thieves co-owner, he would have been banned on Twitch for the same thing. Days after signing exclusively with YouTube, Ludwig Ahgren found himself on the receiving end of a ban from the Google-owned platform. The 26-year-old’s account was flagged with a DMCA claim. Reacting to the suspension, streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter explained why his channel would have also been temporarily banned on Twitch as well. Valkyrae reacts to Ludwig’s YouTube ban During her December 2 livestream, Valkyrae addressed Ludwig’s suspension and explained why it happened. “First of all, he’s not banned,” she said. “His stream was taken down, probably for copyright issues.” Hofstetter followed up her breakdown of the situation and argued Ahgren would have faced the same issues on Twitch. “I’m sure this would have happened equally on Twitch,” she continued. The 100 Thieves co-owner then replied to Ludwig’s tweet about the ban and said “It was a good two days,” before jokingly exclaiming, “Goodbye Ludwig, goodbye.” Valkyrae wasn’t the only streamer to react to his temporary YouTube ban. Twitch star Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker was floored by the suspension and teased Ahgren by making fun of his announcement video. Piker then played the clip of Ludwig saying that he could now play music on his YouTube streams without getting into trouble. “Ohhh, that makes his suspension so much funnier, dude. NOT in this car!” he laughed. “What happened?! Guess what!” Ludwig would later open up about the ban and seemingly confirm that his channel was flagged with a DMCA strike after playing a few seconds of the viral kid’s song ‘Baby Shark’ during his December livestream. At the time of writing, Ahgren’s channel is suspended from going live. His account, however, is still able to upload content, making his first week on YouTube a little bit of a rough start, to say the least.

  • Valkyrae claims YouTube is “only real option” for star streamers for one big reason – Dexerto

Valkyrae claims YouTube is “only real option” for star streamers for one big reason YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has stepped up to bat for YouTube, claiming the Google-owned platform is the only real option for all the biggest names in streaming as the exclusivity wars heat up again, for one big reason. Ludwig’s shock defection from Twitch to YouTube this week has set the ball rolling on the streaming exclusivity wars again, with many chiming in on options. One of YouTube’s biggest advocates, Valkyrae, has stepped up to bat for the famous video website again, claiming that in the looming choice between Red and Purple that many top streamers will soon face, there’s only one real pick — the platform she inked a major contract with all the way back in early 2020. According to the 100 Thieves owner, YouTube has one big advantage; they support top talent and “work with them” to improve the site. That sense of importance is something Twitch has never leaned into. YouTube is the only pick, she continued, because “they care.” “There’s a sense of representation [on YouTube],” Hofstetter explained, “that I never felt like was there for Twitch. YouTube wants to treat me well and work with me.” Valkyrae said: “That was one of the biggest reasons why I was very happy to move from Twitch to YouTube [in January last year], because the people behind the scenes made it very clear that they value my opinions. “It’s that kind of thing that makes them the only real option I think. “They pulled me from this whole other company. They always want to treat me well, and they’re always checking in to see if I’m doing okay, seeing what else I need. We work closely together and if I have something that I want them to do for the channel or website they’re always like, ‘done!’” “I feel valued on YouTube. They make me feel important. On Twitch, that’s not really there. They have so many people on deals that you don’t get that feeling.” This isn’t the first time Valkyrae has urged her former Twitch co-stars to make the leap across either; days after the monster Amazon leaked revealed earnings for dozens of the platform’s top streamers, she sounded the horn too. “You know, YouTube is looking to sign more streamers,” she said at the time. “Yeah, they are. The streaming side of the platform has a lot of room to grow. They’re working on and focusing on it. “I’m happy here. Seeing how hungry they are is exciting. I’m not biased, but YouTube doesn’t have ads, and we’re working on a lot of other things.” Related segment begins at 4:20:12 in the video below. Hofstetter also conceded the switch isn’t simple either. The 100 Thieves co-owner has opened up in the past about how difficult it was for her to leave her Twitch fanbase behind, and she worried she’d “abandoned them.” “I was pretty stressed about it,” she said. “I really, really struggled with the move. It felt like I was letting a lot of people down, like my core community on Twitch. I felt like they just didn’t wanna watch me anymore because I left them. It was sacrificing everything I had worked for, for stability.” In the end, however, the move worked out perfectly for Valkyrae: she’s now reigning as the “Queen of YouTube,” and can’t speak highly enough of the bold move.

  • Valkyrae explains why she’s never taking her chat out of member’s mode – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she’s never taking her chat out of member’s mode Instagram: ValkyraeYouTube streamer Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has decided she’s keeping her stream chat to members-only mode forever, following an onslaught of “disrespectful” comments from trolls. The 100 Thieves star, who was recently named the most-watched female streamer on the internet, has previously spoken about the effects her career has had on her mental and physical health, and has always been open with fans about her stream-related decisions. Now, following a particularly troll-heavy stream, Valkyrae has shared that she’ll be keeping her YouTube chat members-only, citing the high volume of “disrespectful” comments and the lack of moderation tools on the video platform as her reasons. Why Valkyrae is keeping her chat members-only Rae has revealed that, in an attempt to combat trolls and hateful comments, she will be setting her YouTube chat to members-only, which means only those who are paid members of her channel can comment. “Since the last stream, I decided that was the final straw. It’s not a member vs non-member thing, it’s just a respect thing, and there are zero moderation tools on YouTube. I am not going to have it out of member’s mode ever again,” she explained. While she did offer some hope for non-members by hinting that she might take chat out of members-only mode for a “special occasion” in the future, it does seem likely that members-only chat is the future for Valkyrae. “Chat has affected me way too much, and there’s just not enough utility to moderate a chat that is as active and fast as this one,” she continued. “People were trolling about the BLM movement and stuff, and just being entirely disrespectful to the point where it’s like, I don’t want to see that anymore. “Those of you that have been watching me since I switched to YouTube know that I’ve been trying my best not to make it members-only chat … but I’m officially convinced it’s impossible, and I’m not going to feel guilty for having it in members-only mode anymore.” Fortunately, most fans were understanding and supportive of her decision, with one writing: “Good on her, [the] internet can be toxic sometimes not to mention she just feels calmer [now].” Another added: “I’m not a member and I’m glad she’s keeping in members-only mode. Too many random haters and trolls hop in and it ruins the stream for Rae, and everyone else watching.” It’s not the first time Valkyrae has spoken out about the negative aspects of streaming. She recently revealed that she’s on the verge of quitting GTA RP because of the “bad vibes” it brings in her chat. Despite the trolls, things are only looking up for Valkyrae. She recently became co-owner of esports organization 100 Thieves alongside CourageJD, becoming one of the first women co-owners in esports.

Valkyrae explains why she’s not as famous as stars like Bella Poarch & MrBeast YouTube: ValkyraeDespite having a legion of dedicated fans, YouTube star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter believes she isn’t famous compared to the likes of Bella Poarch or MrBeast. 100 Thieves co-owner and streamer extraordinare, Valkyrae, has become a household name for YouTube and Twitch fans. Appearing alongside the likes of musical sensation Machine Gun Kelly and TikTok behemoth Bella Poarch in two very different music videos, the queen of streams has done it all during her rise to gaming stardom. During her July 27 stream, though, she responded to fans calling her famous, claiming that she’s nowhere near being in the same level as Poarch, or even YouTube’s resident philanthropist, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson. Valkyrae hits back at claims she’s famous Despite being the most-watched female streamer for quarter one of 2021, Rae is adamant that she’s not famous when compared to the likes of Poarch or MrBeast. After discussing her relationship with the Filipina TikToker, fans immediately jumped in and claimed that she, too, was famous. “I am not famous, okay? I am not famous,” Rae replies. Read More: When is Valkyrae merch coming out? – “People like Bella or actors and stuff, they’re worldwide famous. I’m not famous,” she reiterates. “I could walk around in public and still not get noticed. We were at the store and she had security guards and s**t, and I was like ‘I don’t belong here.’” As her chat continued to argue back, she notes “you guys are crazy,” mentioning people like MrBeast as being truly famous. From here, she pulls up Bella’s follower count and exclaims “this girl blew up during the last few months, she has 77 million followers. 77.1 million. She is worldwide famous. That is famous.” (Topic begins at 8:10) Noting that “I can go to the store, I can go to a restaurant and totally not get noticed,” she concludes “that’s the way I’d like to keep it, it’s kind of nice y’know.” Despite fan attempts to persuade her otherwise, Rae remains adamant that she really isn’t famous all things considered, and it doesn’t seem like she’ll be changing her mind anytime soon.

  • Valkyrae explains why she’s deleted all her dating apps – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she’s deleted all her dating apps YouTube: 100 Thieves CastYouTube star Valkyrae opened up about her dating life in a recent podcast where she revealed that she’s no longer perusing for partners on dating apps. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the biggest streamers on YouTube, with over 3.7 million subscribers on the video platform. As such, it stands to reason that her many fans would be interested in her dating life… but according to Valkyrae, she’s currently single and enjoying meeting new people. However, dating apps in particular are not part of her search for Mr. Right. The streamer says that she’s gotten rid of her dating apps over fears that someone will only want to be with her because she’s a famous streamer — not because they actually like her. “I uninstalled it, but I have tried dating apps,” she explained to fellow 100 Thieves member Peter Park. “I get too paranoid that I’m gonna get recognized and that’s gonna be the reason why they’re trying to talk to me.” Despite her rocky relationship with dating apps, Rae says that she actually had a successful date thanks to one program… but had to end the relationship when she got too busy. “I’ve gotten into the habit of installing it, uninstalling it. Installing it, and then uninstalling it. I’ve actually gone on a date through a dating app. He was wonderful, he was great, but then I got too busy and I cut things off.” Rae also shares similar fears in regards to “verified” dating apps, which are only used by genuine celebrities and people of note. “I’ve tried one of those apps before, and it’s still, you never know. Even if they’re verified, what if they’re like, ‘Oh my god, is that Valkyrae?’” (Topic begins at 57:30) Valkyrae says she would rather “meet someone naturally that just doesn’t recognize me out in the street” — but so far, she’s single and enjoying life as one of the internet’s most-watched female live streamers.

On April 8, former Kpop star aeJ released the music video for his newest song ‘Car Crash.’ The video made the rounds in the Twitch and YouTube communities as it featured 100 Thieves stars Valkyrae, Kyedae, & WillNeff. Although Valkyrae was excited about the opportunity to star in the video, she also wasn’t thrilled with how she appeared once the video was finally released. Valkyrae disappointed in ‘Car Crash’ appearance The 30-year-old streamer joined up with Sykkuno, Blaustoise, and LilyPichu for a Fortnite stream when Lily complimented Valkyrae for her look in the music video. “I saw the music video, Rae, you look really pretty,” Lily said. Sadly, Valkyrae didn’t have the same amount of enthusiasm that LilyPichu had and responded, “Eh, I didn’t like my makeup. I was insecure about my makeup. Fake lashes are very fake.” Timestamp 1:03 The 100 Thieves streamer released a behind-the-scenes video on her own channel which showed off everything that went into making the music video, sharing tons of laughs with Will Neff during the filming process. • Valkyrae explains why she would love to be a “faceless” VTuber and why she can’t – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she would love to be a “faceless” VTuber and why she can’t Valkyrae / PokimaneValkyrae was stunned when she found out everyone but her were VTubers in the top 10 list of the most watched female streamers in the world on YouTube — and this lead her to detail why she would love to be a virtual creator. The popular streamer has been often hailed as the “YouTube Queen” after gaining almost 4 million subscribers on the platform. Over the years Valkyrae has been no stranger to success, becoming a co-owner of esports organization 100 Thieves and previously winning the ‘Content Creator of the Year’ award at the Game Awards. During a broadcast on August 30, 2023, Rae addressed a tweet she previously saw by Streamer Charts which stated that for the last week of August, Valkyrae was the 6th most-watched female gaming live streamer on YouTube. She soon realized to her amazement that all the other positions on the top 10 list had been taken up by VTubers. Valkyrae explains why she would want to be a “faceless” VTuber “It’s too late for me, I can never be a VTuber,” she said. “If I had a brain eight years ago, I think that would have been a fun route to go. Just being faceless would be so nice.” In being just a VTuber, Valkyrae would have been able to keep her identity unknown, allowing her to go about her day-to-day life without the intrusion of fans. Privacy has been an issue for many streamers over the years, such as Valkyrae, whereby the American’s popularity has also seen a rise in stalkers and “parasocial” fans. These fans have become emotionally attached to the creator and her friend’s lives, which led to various issues. VTubers have been become increasingly more popular over the years as they look set to continue to take over the streaming charts for years to come. If you’re trying to get into watching VTubers, we have created a list of the best virtual streamers to watch on YouTube and Twitch.

  • Valkyrae explains why she took a break from YouTube streaming – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she took a break from YouTube streaming Instagram: ValkyraeStreamer Valkyrae has explained why she took a break from YouTube streaming in her latest live on the platform. Having just celebrated her 29th birthday, Valkyrae (real name Rachel Hofstetter) has shown no signs of slowing down in recent years, and her move from Twitch to YouTube at the start of 2020 has proven to be an incredible change for both herself and the YouTube streaming platform. Just last week, Valkyrae took over from Pokimane as the most-watched female streamer with her 23.6m hours watched coming out above Pokimane’s 23.3m. But even the most successful creators struggle and need breaks. Valkyrae recently took a week-long break from streaming, leading many to ponder what the reason might be. In her latest stream on Sunday, January 17, Valkyrae explained that she took a break because she had already fulfilled her contracted hours for streaming. She said, “I signed a contract with YouTube a year ago and as some of you didn’t know and some of you did learn later, I have streaming hours to fulfill and I owe 100 hours a month, but I went a little crazy and streamed too much last year which is very bad for my health.” (Topic starts at 9:20) She said that the break was largely for the sake of both her mental and physical health, adding, “I turned 29 on January 8… it’s probably a good time to turn into an adult so I’m going to do that by probably changing my lifestyle a lot.” She explained that she has problems with her gut-health and that she thinks she has an auto-immune skin disease, so as a result she’ll be changing up her diet and cooking more often. Valkyrae took a break from social media in May last year for mental health reasons, and so she could take time away to focus on herself and her creativity. In the future, Valkyrae’s fans can expect more cooking content as she focuses on changing up her lifestyle, she said, but that she will only stream her required hours rather than going overboard as she did in 2020.

  • Valkyrae explains why she was “freaking out” ahead of The Streamer Awards 2023 – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she was “freaking out” ahead of The Streamer Awards 2023 Twitter: StreamerAwardsValkyrae was able to explain on the Fear& podcast the reason she was “freaking out” before The Streamer Awards 2023 went live. The Streamer Awards for 2023 have come and gone and with it a fantastic event to highlight and focus on some of the greatest streamers to grace the internet. With such a large event it’s obvious that there would’ve been an enormous amount of work put in to ensure the night ran smoothly. As such the main organizer and host QTCinderella was under immense pressure whilst setting up and running the broadcast, which may have caused Valkyrae a bit of panic. Valkyrae revealed recently on the Fear& podcast that she “freaked out” right before The Streamer Awards kicked off. She elaborated that she was unaware she was running late for rehearsals, right until QT texted her about 10 minutes before asking where she was. “I was late, my call time was 12.30 pm and QT texts me 10 minutes before 12.30 saying where are you? I was like I’m going to be late and she was like ‘ you are my co-host you’re supposed to be here, rehearsal is at 12.30.’ So I start freaking out cause I didn’t realize I was missing rehearsal.” Fortunately for Valk, QT seemed to be right on top of everything that was going on preparation-wise. “I get there and I just see QT is in the zone, she is just going through it. She’s got someone vlogging for her, there’s people coming up to her and running and going.” This is the second year QT has run the Streamer Awards, so she clearly was showing her experience in managing a large-scale operation. Valk was sure to make a funny note whilst comparing the two when she arrived at the venue. “I show up in my crocs, no makeup on, a green sweater, blue plaid pajama pants. Cause I’m like oh I’ll get my makeup done there.” However, when Valkyrae started to experience the venue further, that’s when she came to realize the sheer scale and gravity of the event she was about to co-host with QTCinderella. “I was like, wow, this is actually happening. We’re freaking out.” QT was able to share the sentiment with Valk however, empathizing with the streamer and stating, “yeah it makes it real.” The Streamer Awards for 2023 have all been done and dusted, however, with the event coming to a close with a rather crazy party. • Valkyrae explains why she gets “embarrassed” rewatching her streams – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she gets “embarrassed” rewatching her streams YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has explained why she sometimes gets “embarrassed” watching her streams back, shortly after an Among Us stream with other streamers such as TinaKitten and DisguisedToast. Valkyrae is one of the most famous streamers in the world, and certainly one of the biggest on YouTube, as the Google-owned platform fights for power in the livestreaming world over competitor Twitch. She’s got a huge legion of fans who tune into her streams every day and show her insane amounts of love — but that doesn’t mean she won’t get self-conscious sometimes. On May 3, after finishing her stream, Valkyrae said that she is sometimes “embarrassed” by her on-stream antics. Posting to her alt Twitter account ‘itsraechill,’ Valkyrae was very self-critical about her streams. “I forget how many people are watching sometimes and get embarrassed when I rewatch my streams,” she said. “I get so brainless, loud, and obnoxious … why am I like this?” She then followed up with another tweet, saying “Why am I so loud I’m so tiny it doesn’t make sense.” https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1521743747280621569 https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1521743885457715200 It didn’t take long for the love and support to come flying in, with fans and fellow streamers alike saying that there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. “You’re the embodiment of the energy trapped inside our heads in which we struggle to express,” said Flexinja, thanking her for her content. you’re the embodiment of the energy trapped inside our heads in which we struggle to express, thank you 🙏 — NRG Flexinja (@flexinja) May 4, 2022 Others simply said that they love how she is on stream, and think her persona is perfect for the content they want to see. While Valkyrae might sometimes get embarrassed about how energetic she gets on stream, her fans clearly love it, and it’s no doubt a reason for her incredible success.

  • Valkyrae explains why she stopped smoking weed: “I was a mega stoner” – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she stopped smoking weed: “I was a mega stoner” YouTube: 100 ThievesYouTube star Valkyrae opened up about her past smoking habits, explaining to her viewers that she’d stopped smoking weed prior to her career as an online superstar for several big reasons. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of YouTube’s most prominent streamers. Boasting over 3.7 million subscribers and a recipient of TGA’s Content Creator of the Year Award, Valkyrae is also co-owner of gaming and entertainment giant 100 Thieves. She’s one of the most positive and upbeat streamers around with a successful career as an online entertainer… but prior to her internet fame, she says she was a “mega stoner.” Valkyrae opened up about her past during a recent live stream, after a viewer asked if she had “ever smoked weed.” Valk was honest and admitted that she had smoked quite a bit when she lived in Washington, explaining that she’d had a medical card due to nerve pain from scoliosis. “Back in my day, we used to grow a couple plants,” she laughed. “I was a mega stoner, man. That was a very long time ago. A couple, yeah, just a couple plants.” “Marijuana was legal in Washington state way before everywhere else, and I had my medication card, because I had a pinched nerve for my scoliosis,” she added. “But I quit a long, long, long time ago. I was never high at work or school. Ever. I had too much anxiety to do that. I don’t know how people did that. It’s ridiculous.” She went on to state that she’d quit smoking because she “didn’t like how lazy it made me,” alongside “getting the munchies like crazy” and the overall expense. She also claimed that she had a “50/50 chance” of having a negative, anxiety-fueled reaction to weed or experiencing a nice high — something she got tired of trying to chance. “It clashed with what I was trying to do with my life,” she continued. “I wanted to be more driven and focus on work.” While this isn’t the first time Rae has opened up about her experiences with weed, she isn’t the only influencer to speak about having a negative experience with marijuana; YouTube star Logan Paul also claimed he experienced “aggressive” withdrawals from smoking back in January 2022 after making the decision to quit.

  • Valkyrae explains why she blocked “like a million” of her viewers live on YouTube – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she blocked “like a million” of her viewers live on YouTube YouTube streaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has explained why she handed out a lot of bans to viewers while she was watching a true crime documentary. Valkyrae is one of the biggest streamers on YouTube, boasting an enormous fanbase. Naturally, that translates to a lot of active participants in the chat. During a recent livestream, Valkyrae was watching a true crime documentary. As she watched the video, she commented “It’s not all men, but…” in reaction to assaults mentioned in the video. The comment prompted a wave of messages attacking Rachell and her stance. At this point, Valkyrae began to personally sort the chat for inappropriate comments, banning a significant number of viewers who she deemed to have made aggressive or vitriolic statements. Valkyrae blocks users attacking her The 100 Thieves co-owner explained herself shortly after, ridiculing how defensive certain type of chatters became. “I banned like a milion people. It was easy. All I had to say is that one little comment, about ‘it’s not all men’,” said Valkyrae. “Don’t bat a blind eye and pretend like it’s 50/50. Men can be r**ed too, mhm, men can also be kidnapped, mhm, yes. Obviously it goes both ways. That wasn’t the point.” Some commenters support Valkyrae in her decision. “Well if you are p*ssed by what she is talking about then she is exactly talking about you,” says one user. Others were disappointed, suggesting she banned people simply for disagreeing. One claimed: “she is banning people that she doesn’t like”. Valkyrae is no stranger to hostile interactions with online communities though. She revealed lately that she dropped GTA Roleplay as a result of “scary crazy” fans harassing her.

  • Valkyrae explains why she doesn’t want to have kids – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she doesn’t want to have kids YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae opened up about her thoughts on possibly having children, revealing that she’s a bit too focused on her career right now to consider being a mom. Top streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is a busy woman. Between modeling for Gymshark, securing one of the biggest billboards in Times Square, and buying her dream car, Valkyrae has been on quite a tear lately. Although she’s a streaming icon, Rae is also one to take time to spend with her friends and family, most recently saying that she’s trying to stream less to “do other things with my life now.” However, it doesn’t look like her career is slowing down enough for her to contemplate having a Valkyrae Jr. The broadcaster cited her busy streaming schedule as one key reason why she doesn’t see kids in her immediate future during a recent Valorant stream. At first, Rae joked that she should “just have a baby” before backtracking to her current reality and admitting that she loves working too much to take time off at the moment. Valkyrae says she’s too busy to think about having kids “I don’t think I’ll be having kids,” she explained. “I just think that I’m so focused on work. I just love working. I just love being busy. I don’t know how I would just stop working to have a kid. It would be so hard.” “I just feel like there’s so many people on this planet already,” she added. “For me, the experience of raising a child would be, probably, too difficult.” “I see myself being a good mom, but I don’t know. I think I would overthink everything to the point where I wouldn’t want my kid going to public school. Those decisions, they all matter. Do you do public school or private school? Both of those have pros and cons.” For now, it’s clear that Rae is focused on her job as one of the world’s most popular online broadcasters to think about taking a lengthy timeout — but the streamer has said she’s open to starting a new romantic relationship (although dating apps are definitely out of the question).

  • Valkyrae explains why Pokimane and JiDion teaming up after drama was “smartest thing” – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why Pokimane and JiDion teaming up after drama was “smartest thing” JiDion/YouTube: PokimaneYouTube streaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has explained why Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Jidion ‘JiDion’ Adams teaming up for a collab after their beef was the “smartest thing” for both of them. On January 12, Pokimane was forced to end her stream early after a ‘hate raid’ from JiDion, who then found himself permanently banned from Twitch as a result. While there was ongoing drama between both the streamers and their communities, with JiDion even having to urge his fans to leave Pokimane alone, that beef appears to have settled. On February 3, JiDion and Pokimane posted a picture to social media together looking like good friends, in a move that shocked many of both of their fans. While people have questioned the situation, Valkyrae actually said during her February 3 stream that it was a great move for them to team up. “I actually talked to her on the phone about it, and I just feel like that is literally the smartest and best thing they could have done,” she said. “It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved, except for Ninja. “I think him doing that, and doing content with Poki and OTV, it’s so good for both parties, and also reconciling or showing the beef is squashed, it’s going to make it so that his community doesn’t sh*t on her anymore.” Timestamp 3:26:10 Repeating that it’s “really good” for both parties, Rae clearly thinks this collaboration is a stroke of genius. What Valkyrae hasn’t been quite so impressed by in February, though, was TikTok star Addison Rae launching her own skincare product intended to protect from blue light — something she herself faced a plethora of backlash for when she announced the now-defunct RFLCT back in October 2021.

  • Valkyrae explains why Corpse Husband has been missing from her streams – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why Corpse Husband has been missing from her streams YouTube: Valkyrae, CorpsehusbandYouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has revealed why Corpse Husband hasn’t been playing games with the group recently. Shortly after the Among Us boom at the end of 2020, Corpse Husband and the rest of the Amigops — Valkyrae, Sykkuno, and Disguised Toast — gained mass popularity on their channels, with Corpse hitting one million views on Twitch after just two streams. However, as the popularity of Among Us died down and the group moved to other games, Corpse has been less active on his friend’s streams. Valkyrae has explained why he’s been missing from streams, mentioning that he’s been extremely busy with other opportunities in his career. Valkyrae on why Corpse has been “missing” Although Corpse Husband had opened up about not streaming as much on his own channel, he mentioned before that he enjoys being on his friend’s streams. After a viewer asked Valkyrae where he’s been, she explained why his streaming schedule has changed. “I know you guys haven’t seen or heard of Corpse for a long time. But we have been keeping up with each other and he is doing well,” she said. “He’s just been very very busy.” The 100 Thieves co-owner went on to reveal that he doesn’t have a ton of interest in GTA RP or Valorant, which have been the two games the group has played in the recent weeks. (Topic starts at 10:28 in the video below) Valkyrae did mention, however, that she offered to play Dead By Daylight with Corpse, so perhaps we’ll be seeing a stream featuring the ‘E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE’ musician sooner than later. Corpse has recently revealed that he is doing voice-over work for the anime ‘Tribe-Nine,’ and may even have a new song coming out soon as well. • Valkyrae explains why her outfit almost caused her to leave Coachella early – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why her outfit almost caused her to leave Coachella early Twitter: PeterParkTVWith 3.6 million followers on YouTube and co-ownership of 100 Thieves to her name, Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is a monolithic streamer. Despite this, she still suffers from poor footwear choices like the rest of us and it almost caused her to leave Coachella early. On stream on April 20, YouTube’s most-watched female personality took time with her chat to discuss her experiences at Coachella, citing a singular issue that almost caused her to head home after the very first day. Talking about her experience at the festival, Valkyrae said “I wish I could show you guys my feet, I have five blisters the biggest one being this big one on the bottom of my foot.” With an easy insight into how she let this occur, the streamer said “I wore my jellies, they’re little sandals and they destroyed my feet.” HI IM BIGGEST FAN BOTH SO BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍 WOW I AM VERY LUCKY TO HAVE MET YOU TWO 🥰🥰🥰 U DESERVE THE WORLD 🌎 LOVE FROM LOS ANGELES I HOPE U ALL THE BLESSINGS AND LOVE ❤️ — blau (@blaustoise) April 18, 2022 Coming to her rescue, fellow streamer Nathan ‘Blaustoise’ Blau, became her “knight in shining armor. He not only gave me his shoes, he gave me his socks.” Talking about the impact it had on her for the weekend., Rae explained how “he actually saved [her] feet. “If I didn’t have his shoes… cause I was so paranoid I was gonna step on a needle or something, step on poop or something.” Stating that intervention from the game dev-turned streamer kept her at the festival, Valkyrae announced “I was able to go for the next two days, cause I did consider going early with Buddha and Sykkuno.” Fans have latched onto the goings-on with the intensity that only folk on the internet can bring up. “So what’s going on with you and Blau, Valkyrae?” one fan questioned. “Wearing his shoes and him carrying yours?” Fellow streamer Fuslie even joined in on the joking action, posting a picture of Valkyrae, Blau, and herself with the caption “Rae and I met a superfan at Coachella!”

  • Valkyrae explains why she’s moving out of Pokimane’s house – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she’s moving out of Pokimane’s house Instagram: ValkyraeRachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is looking to move out of the house she shares with fellow streamers Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Janet ‘xChocoBars’ Rose, revealing the reasons why on a recent stream. Valkyrae has been sharing a house with Pokimane, xChocoBars, and Starsmitten for almost a year now. They announced the move back in June 2020 and have been housemates ever since. However, the lease is finally up, and they’ve all decided to move on for different reasons. For Valkyrae, the biggest reason is that she wanted to enjoy the freedom of living by herself again. “My lease with the girls here is almost over,” she said. “I have been looking for places. I think I’m going to try living by myself. It’s not official yet. But I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I haven’t lived by myself since I worked at Gamestop.” “I kind of like the idea of just going out into my living room with nothing on and my hair in a bun… It’d be kind of nice to just have full control over my environment.” She assured fans there were no issues with her current housemates. They’re all still “besties” and “love each other.” However, they’ve all got their “own plans” in mind and want to start a “new chapter.” Valkyrae also mentioned the address had been “leaked by stalkers,” which played a big part in the decision. The constant fear and uncertainty of knowing that was anxiety-inducing. So, they’ve wanted to move out ever since. It’s bittersweet news for fans who loved the fact the besties were all housemates. However, all good things must come to an end, and Valkyrae is adamant that now is the right time to move on.

  • Valkyrae explains why she’s “always paranoid” about streaming – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains why she’s “always paranoid” about streaming YouTube: Valkyrae100 Thieves star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has opened up on why she feels like she’s “always paranoid” about streaming on Twitch, and more recently exclusively on YouTube, and how she often doesn’t feel safe online. Internet culture is well and truly on the rise in the 21st century, and stars on Twitch, TikTok, and more are becoming celebrities in their own rights. One of those huge internet stars is newly-minted YouTube streamer Valkyrae. According to the 28-year-old, however, there’s plenty of less than glamourous parts of her new-found fame. In particular, “death threats,” and always being “paranoid” about her safety constantly dogs her ever-growing streaming career. Valkyrae admitted during a recent Q&A on YouTube that she often finds herself “worrying all the time about safety.” It’s one of the hardest parts of being a big-time streamer, she admitted, and it’s something the stars usually “try to ignore.” “A lot of us on the internet, we get your stalkers, your f*ppers, and your horny teeny-beanies, you know? I worry about safety a lot of the time, and I’m always paranoid about my safety, especially being in the public space,” she said. She added part of that fear comes from the fact you “never know who’s watching,” and the idea there are people out there who are “trying to get you.” Valkyrae also admitted she had gotten death threats before, which hasn’t helped. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 6:26 in the video below. Her safety isn’t the only thing Valkyrae tipped as the “hardest part of streaming” either. As well as personal safety — which is of course of the utmost importance — she also included the “ever-worrying accountant stuff.” “With streaming, you don’t get an hourly paid wage. It’s literally based off who decides to support you, who subs, who donates,” she said. “All that. That was really difficult for a long time. Luckily I don’t have to deal with that anymore.” Valkyrae’s ability to throw off that side of streaming paranoia comes after she penned an exclusive deal with YouTube. Her defection deal is allegedly worth $1 million, which Hofstetter admits has “helped” alleviate some worries too.

  • Valkyrae explains how Sykkuno helped her anxiety at the Streamer Awards – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains how Sykkuno helped her anxiety at the Streamer Awards Instagram: sykkuwu, valkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae explained how having fellow influencer Sykkuno by her side helped ease her anxiety during the record-breaking 2022 Streamer Awards. The first-ever Streamer Awards kicked off this past weekend, recognizing the best and brightest of the internet’s treasure trove of broadcasting talent. The independent award show — put together by Twitch star QTCinderella and a small production team — saw a slew of the net’s top stars gather together under a single roof. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter was one of these streamers. While she might gather hundreds of thousands of eyeballs online, being at such a prolific event in-person was enough to make her anxiety spike. Valkyrae says Sykkuno helped her anxiety at the Streamer Awards She opened up about the awards during a recent stream, saying that although she was nervous, having fellow steamer and housemate Sykkuno by her side was a major help. “I hardly took any photos with anyone,” she said of the show. “I was so stressed that I just was standing by Sykkuno and just like, existing.” “It was very comforting having Sykkuno next to me the whole time because we both were extremely anxious and an anxiety ball,” she continued. “Sykkuno does this thing where, when he is anxious, he’ll put his hand to his chest and he’ll go, ‘Whoo.’ It’s so endearing because when I see him do that, I could tell that he feels the exact same way that I do.” Valkyrae also claimed that many of the invited streamers were also a bit frazzled, referring to the joke streamer NymN made about her controversial RFLCT skincare line during a live interview. “I could tell he was really stressed too, and I felt like he probably didn’t want to say it, but for the sake of trolling for the stream, I understand,” she said. “It’s an easy topic. He also pulled out the guitar card on Leslie, so, I get that.” Despite everyone’s nerves, the Streamer Awards ended up breaking major records on Twitch and even became the hot topic of conversation on Twitter, where it entered the site’s top five trends.

  • Valkyrae explains how Sykkuno helped her feel safe playing with xQc – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains how Sykkuno helped her feel safe playing with xQc Twitch: xQc / Sykkuno / YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter admitted that she found Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel “intimidating” to play games with at first but explained how Sykkuno acted as a “barrier” that made her feel safe. After gifting $5,000 worth of Twitch subs to support Miyoung ‘Kkatamina’ Kim’s subathon, Rae appeared alongside her on stream. xQc’s name came up in a conversation they were having with some mutual friends. One of them revealed that Rae once admitted to being “scared” of playing games with xQc. Rae clarified it by adding that he’s “nice” but “intimidating” and explained how Sykkuno has helped make the process easier. A friend kicked off the conversation by admitting that the thought of having a conversation with xQc “shared the sh*t out of him.” He claimed it was a combination of having social anxiety and not knowing what to say. A second friend who was off-camera added to that, claiming that she “begged” Rae to accompany her in a Mario Party lobby with xQc. Rae admitted to being ‘“scared” of him at the time, too, which surprised the friend. Rae took the reigns of the conversation and clarified her comments. “He is nice. I mean, he is really nice,” she said. “He’s just intimidating.” However, they all agreed that he’s not that intimidating once you get to know him. Read More: Valkyrae is back on track after RFLCT drama – Rae also explained how Sykkuno makes playing games with xQc easier. “It also helps when Sykkuno is there because Sykkuno just has this barrier where it’s like you feel safe in there. He’s the connector to everybody.” Sykkuno is good friends with both Rae and xQc. He even hilariously trolled the juicer warlord without batting an eye. However, it might be a while before Rae feels comfortable enough around xQc to do that – at least when Sykkuno isn’t around.

  • Valkyrae explains how Pokimane solved confusion with restaurant during big IRL stream – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains how Pokimane solved confusion with restaurant during big IRL stream YouTube: ValkyraeStreaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter cleared up an unusual situation where she and her pals were told to shut down their stream despite claiming they had permission to film. For most streamers, sitting down at their desk and showing off their gaming skills is about as far as they’ll go. Though, there are plenty of others that branch out and stream their daily lives while on the go. Given there are so many strangers and passers-by, IRL streams can be full of pitfalls, but plenty of big streamers will attempt to get permission beforehand to avoid any backlash. 100 Thieves’ Valkyrae attempted to do just that when she and a few friends sat down to eat at a restaurant, but their stream almost got shut down after a dispute with a manager. During the stream, Hofstetter noted that her assistant had called ahead of time to get permission for them to stream their meal. Though, when they got there, they were confronted by staff who told them they could only take pictures. In the aftermath, the 100 Thieves co-owner said that would never be the case. “I said that’s impossible, there’s no way my assistant would call in and ask for permission for photos, that’s absolutely impossible. We wouldn’t have agreed or made reservations here if that was the case,” she added. Ultimately, it was Pokimane who got things straightened out by asking to speak to a different member of staff who could help them. That person then gave them permission to stream. Timestamp of 5:50 While some fans commented that the streamers were being ‘karens’ about the whole thing and complaining to managers, Rae shut that down given they hadn’t really done anything wrong. Of course, not everybody wants to be on camera and that might prompt them to act differently, but as she says, clear communication goes a long way in getting things right.

  • Valkyrae explains how “scary crazy” GTA RP fans forced her to stop playing – Dexerto

Valkyrae explains how “scary crazy” GTA RP fans forced her to stop playing YouTube: ValkyraeStreaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter explained how the “super crazy” GTA RP community pushed her away from playing on the NoPixel server despite some fans craving her return. A GTA RP boomed in 2022, plenty of big-name streamers wanted to get involved and see what the craze was all about. While some streamers created their own servers, a number of them, including Valkyrae, hopped into the uber-popular NoPixel server. Even though some of her pals didn’t stick around for a while, Valkyrae got the bug for roleplaying and her Ray Mond character quickly became a staple. The 100 Thieves co-owner had to take a few breaks from the server, however, as she became “addicted” to it. She cut ties completely with it in the back half of 2022, and fans have been desperate to see her playing once again. Valkyrae explains how “overwhelming” GTA RP fans pushed her away That’s unlikely to happen, though, as Valkyrae explained that the “overwhelming” RP community is what pushed her away as she appeared on kkatamina’s New Year’s eve stream to talk about her absence from it. “It’s definitely the community, the game’s community, that pushed me away,” Rae said. “I just can’t handle that kind of crazy. Every other crazy is tolerable but GTA 5 RP community crazy is scary crazy, especially because people like me make a lot of mistakes.” The streamers recapped some of their slip-ups, with Rae touching on how annoyed some fans would get whenever she’d forget about meeting another character and having to ask who they were all over again. The 100 Thieves star did add that it’s “awesome” seeing some of the lengths that some roleplayers go to, but the community is “overwhelming” and ultimately a bit too much for her to make a return. That might disappoint some fans who want to see Ray Mond back on the streams of Los Santos, but it’s not like she doesn’t hang out with RP streamers outside of GTA.

So, I figured I would do a stream today to check out these surprises. I already got toilet paper in case I cry.” And boy, did she need it. The first surprise was a 40-minute compilation video that recapped some of the best moments she had on-stream with friends in 2021. She couldn’t hold back the tears and burst out crying several times while it played. “Oh my gosh, I didn’t expect to get emotional from that,” she said. “That’s crazy. I love all my friends. I love them all. I’m so lucky. I’m just so lucky, man.” The second surprise was a fan-made project called ‘Birthrae Gallerae.’ As the name suggests, it was a virtual art gallery filled with fan-made art. “This is incredible!” yelled Rae as she walked through it with her character. The third and final surprise was a link filled with hundreds of comments from fans wishing her a happy birthday. “I’m so overwhelmed. This is so nice. You guys are so sweet,” she said as the tears started to flow. Then, she decided to end the stream and soak it all in. “I really want to read this now off-stream. I do. I’m going to go. I want to read it and just enjoy it. This is very important to me. I feel like this kind of stuff gives me purpose.” The relevant part of the video starts at 13.26. After reading the comments off-stream, Rae posted a series of tweets thanking fans for their love and support. “This is the happiest I’ve ever been!” she said. “I couldn’t be more grateful for this life. Thank you for being part of it. I wish I could thank you all individually. Thank you for the birthday love.”
