Valkyrae explains why she wanted to be in Bella Poarch’s new music video Instagram: bellapoarch / valkyraePopular streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has explained one of the reasons she decided to take part in TikToker Bella Poarch’s ‘Build a B*tch’ music video after the star approached her with the offer. ‘Build a B*tch’ is not the first time Valkyrae has participated in a huge music video project. Back in March the streamer actually played viral creator Corpse Husband in his collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly, ‘DAYWALKER!’ The song was a huge hit and so was the music video, with fans and fellow streamers praising those who participated in the project, especially Rae. It was so successful that now the streamer has starred in viral TikTok star Bella Poarch’s music video for her new song ‘Build a B*tch.’ The video already has almost 18 million views in just over a day, with the song gaining a huge amount of traction on TikTok. In her behind-the-scenes vlog of the filming process, Rae shared the reason why she actually decided to do the project. When asked what she thought of the track, she explained: “It’s extremely catchy. Like a reason why I wanted to do this was because we’re both Filipino.” She also added that the song “has a really good message,” saying: “anything for women empowerment, I love it.” Topic starts at 5:34 Explaining how she got involved with the project, she said that Bella approached her via DM to see if she would be interested. Read More: How does Valkyrae make money? – “I’ve been following her for a while, so when I discovered that she followed me back it was surprising, very flattering,” she added. “And then she just slid in my DMs like two weeks ago asking if I could be in the music video, and I was like, ‘yeah!” so this will be my first time meeting her.” Bella previously explained that she wanted her first song to “help people to be more confident about themselves,” and that message certainly seems to have struck a chord with Valkyrae and millions of viewers.

Valkyrae returns with hectic Dread Hunger stream alongside Corpse, Sykkuno and more – Dexerto
Valkyrae returns with hectic Dread Hunger stream alongside Corpse, Sykkuno and more Dread Hunger Team / Valkyrae / Corpse Husband / SykkunoThe Amigops have finally reunited after Valkyrae returned to her YouTube streams with Corpse Husband, Sykkuno, Disguised Toast and more in the deceptive survival game Dread Hunger. Fans of the pack’s Among Us streams have been missing the gang lie, bait, and murder each other in the name of good fun. With the friends exploring more games like Rust and GTA RP, there’s been a search for a new title that scratches that party game itch. In her return stream, the Amigops split into crew and traitors in Digital Confectioners’ early access indie title that has a similar vibe as Among Us. After a few days of stream silence, the crew teamed up in the surprise title with as many chaotic twists that come with a new game. Essentially a lobby of eight players – in this case Corpse, Sykkuno, Toast, Ludwig, Lilypichu, Yvonne, Kkatamina, & Valk – worked to get a ship through a frozen tundra while two traitors try to sabotage them. For people who fell in love with the stream collective over their Among Us adventures, there was plenty here that will bring you back to those antics. But the learning curve was really deep for the streamers. Every game either devolved into a hectic scramble for resources or confusion on how to exactly end the match. The gruesome first-person survival game provided a ton of familiar scenes that Valkyrae’s fans have come to expect from the Amigops. Unfortunately, after a few games, there wasn’t much keeping them in the game and quickly turned to Toast’s suggestion of Muck – what they likened to Rust meets Minecraft. Regardless, Valkyrae and the gang came back strong with thousands of viewers loving the classic group stream – and they probably won’t have to wait for long before the next one.

Valkyrae explains why she got emotional seeing Pokimane win the Legacy Award – Dexerto
Valkyrae explains why she got emotional seeing Pokimane win the Legacy Award YouTube: QTCinderella / ValkyraeValkyrae burst out in tears after seeing Pokimane win the Legacy Award at The Streamer Awards, and the main reason why is that she felt Poki deserved it after everything she’s done. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys have been friends for a long time now. Not only have they collaborated on stream throughout the years, but they even lived together in the same house. In 2021, she told fans she loved Poki with her “whole heart and soul” and thinks of her as a “little sister.” So, it’s not all that surprising that she got emotional when Poki won the Legacy Award at The Streamer Awards. However, she opened up about it more on stream and revealed that it came down to two things. First, she saw Poki crying when she won, which made her cry too. Second, because she feels it was well-deserved. She’s set the standard for those that have followed in her footsteps and has trailblazed new paths for streaming. Winning the prestigious Legacy Award is an indication of how important @pokimanelol has been to the streamer community as a whole. #TheStreamerAwards pic.twitter.com/htQOHo7i7N — The Streamer Awards (@StreamerAwards) March 13, 2022 “Poki won the Legacy Award!” she said with a hint of excitement. “It was at the very end. They showed this highlight reel, and I was crying! Poki was sitting next to me. I looked over to her, and she was tearing up!” The two of them are so close, it made her cry too. “I could just tell that she was so grateful and felt so appreciated. I started sobbing because she was just sobbing. It was so cute. It was actually so cute. I loved it so much.” That’s not the only reason she was brought to tears though. It’s also because she felt Poki deserved to win the award after everything she’s accomplished in the streaming industry so far, and she was glad to see it happen. “I am so glad she won because she deserves it. She paved the way for so many gamers and streamers. She’s been around forever. She’s been the first to do so many things in this industry. It was well deserved!” Despite the emotional moment, Rae didn’t win an award herself during the show. She was nominated for Best Variety Streamer along with Disguised Toast, Ludwig, and MoistCr1TiKaL, which was won by the latter. Still, she was thrilled to see her friends win. The Streamer Awards were a huge success, taking over Twitch for the duration it aired, reaching a peak of 380,000 viewers. So, there’s a good chance we’ll see it again and perhaps even see Rae win an award herself.

Valkyrae doubles down on boxing commitment after Creator Clash with new training regimen – Dexerto
Valkyrae doubles down on boxing commitment after Creator Clash with new training regimen Wikimedia Commons / YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter doubled down on her commitment to participate in the next Creator Clash boxing event after the success of the first one by revealing her new training regimen. The streaming world was captivated by the inaugural Creator Clash boxing event on May 14. It was an action-packed thrill ride from start to finish, and Ian ‘iDubbbz’ Washburn hinted the next one is already in the works. Rae was one of several streamers who enjoyed it so much that she raised a hand and admitted she might be down to join the next one. “Since the boxing match, I’ve been curious what it’s like to fight somebody,” she said shortly after the event. JNow following up on her initial comments, the YouTube star has already put words into action by starting a new training regimen — implying she’s doubled down on that commitment, and she’s loved every minute of it. “First time learning how to fight and box with a trainer,” she said in a May 18 post on Twitter. The tweet quickly drew hundreds of comments as speculation about her making a boxing debut at the next Creator Clash ramped up. As for how the session went, she added: “It was honestly such a great experience already, and I think it’s thanks to my trainer being incredible! “I loved it so much I’m locked in for a few months. So fun and feels so rewarding!” First time learning how to fight and box with a trainer😮💨🎉 pic.twitter.com/k1c7N4bKLY — RAE (@Valkyrae) May 18, 2022 Creator Clash 2 hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before it happens, given the success of the first one. Plus, the fact it’s to raise funds for charity is enticing for streamers and fans. Influencer boxing has come a long way since Logan Paul locked horns with KSI for the first time in 2018. Rae might be the next content creator turned fighter to join the ranks, and who knows how far she can go.

Valkyrae disgusted by fanart of Corpse Husband choking her in DAYWALKER! video – Dexerto
Valkyrae disgusted by fanart of Corpse Husband choking her in DAYWALKER! video YouTube: ValkyraeAfter her recent appearance in Corpse Husband and Machine Gun Kelly’s music video “DAYWALKER!” Valkyrae has received some questionable fan art. After fan favorite creator Valkyrae appeared in fellow YouTube star Corpse Husband’s ‘DAYWALKER!’ music video with Machine Gun Kelly, fans have been hard at work preparing fanart of their favorite creators. The video, which has racked up almost 9 million views at the time of writing, portrays a very different side to the 100 Thieves icon. Seen dressed head to toe in black latex and sporting a set of deadly black claws, fans have let their imagination run wild. However, maybe things have gone a little bit too far, as Valkyrae got a bit of a shock when reacting to fan art. Valkyrae disgusted by explicit DAYWALKER! fanart While reacting to a selection of DAYWALKER! themed pieces, Rae is rendered speechless when a particularly adult image pops up on-screen. Featuring Corpse Husband choking a submissive Rae on the yellow chair that features in the video, the artist has also added cat ears and a devilish looking tail to the iconic creator. Completely startled and visibly incredibly uncomfortable, she goes on to comment that “RottenCore arts, you have some explaining to do!” After a host of shocked stutters she continues “it appears to me that he seems to be choking me, okay. Okay.” She then moves on to the next image, which by contrast is very tame. “Thank you for this very PG-13 art, thank you Rotten (RottenMIC). I love the simplicity — the simplicity, A.K.A., not being choked by my friends. Thank you.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TaQ7GSNhNc Artist responds It turns out that the top comment on the video, however, is the artist defending their work after both Rae’s reaction and a wave of backlash in the comments. “Hi! It’s RottenCoreArts here, just wanted to clear up some misunderstandings and make things clear. 1. I do not ship them, I don’t ship real people.” “2. The original intentions for this piece was suppose to be him just reaching down to her. However due to the style and arm length it could be read like he’s choking her. I thought it would be a fun to leave it to interpretation as a lowkey reference to his lyrics in “Cat Girls,” but also how his friends (including Rae) always joke about that part of the lyrics.” Whether or not fans will be convinced by this explanation is unclear. Either way, RottenCoreArts certainly got a reaction, but maybe not quite the one they wanted…

Valkyrae “doesn’t see” resemblance to Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega amid fan comparisons – Dexerto
Valkyrae “doesn’t see” resemblance to Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega amid fan comparisons Instagram: valkyrae / NetflixYouTube star Valkyrae admitted that she “doesn’t see” her resemblance to actress Jenna Ortega after fans couldn’t help but make comparisons between the two. Although Jenna Ortega boasts a filmography dating back to 2012, she’s recently been thrust into the limelight in a huge way thanks to her highly-acclaimed performance in Netflix’s 2022 ‘Wednesday’ series. Her portrayal of Wednesday Addams has earned her praise from fans and critics alike, crowning her the internet’s new ‘It’ girl and becoming our current obsession. Some fans couldn’t help but notice that another star looks quite like Ortega — YouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, who boasts over three million subscribers on the platform. Although their resemblance is subjective, Rae says she’s been seeing a lot of comparisons between herself and the actress lately… but she isn’t so sure that they look as similar as some people say. Valkyrae addresses Jenna Ortega comparisons The streamer brought up the topic during a recent broadcast after a fan pointed out their resemblance in the chat. “The amount of people who’ve said I look like Jenna — Jenna, right? The Wednesday Addams girl? I just wanna say… I don’t see it.” “I don’t see it, but I think it’s because I have dark hair and I got bangs, so I feel like that is enough for me to look like her,” she added. “And you know, I guess if some people see it… it is what it is.” It’s clear that Rae isn’t too convinced that she and Ortega look alike, but that isn’t stopping fans from making comparisons, anyway. Fans in the comments section of Rae’s Shorts video on the topic are filled with viewers “They both have big eyes and sharp jawlines, I can see the resemblance, especially with how dark Rae’s hair is right now,” one user said. “It would be a crime if rae doesn’t do a Wednesday cosplay,” another suggested. That possibility might not be too far out there, either, as Rae has cosplayed a number of other characters in the past — including a jaw-dropping rendition of Valorant’s Viper last year. Wednesday was recently renewed for a second season on Netflix after becoming the streaming platform’s second most-popular show.

Valkyrae describes “traumatizing” hospital experience that caused her to cancel stream – Dexerto
Valkyrae describes “traumatizing” hospital experience that caused her to cancel stream YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has become one of YouTube’s most famous faces, so when a medical emergency caused her to cancel her stream, fans panicked. Valkyrae has now opened up about her hospital ordeal on-stream. 100 Thieves co-owner and YouTube sensation, Valkyrae, lives her entire life in the spotlight. So, after a medical scare caused her to cancel her June 22 streaming session, fans immediately rushed to support her. Posting a series of Tweets after the event that detailed a run-in with possible appendicitis, doctors advised the queen of streams to take some well-deserved rest. Returning to YouTube on June 23, Rae has opened up about her harrowing hospital experience. Valkyrae’s hospital trip Before jumping into her gaming session, Rae took some time to set fans at ease and discuss her unexpected hospital trip. Waking up at 5AM, the streamer describes having “a sharp pain in my gut, and I feel it move over to the bottom right side. And it’s a crippling pain, this pain lasted for a solid 10 minutes. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t get up. It was so terrible.” After getting one of her 100 Thieves colleagues to take her to hospital, she recalls that “I was in the hospital for six hours, from 6AM to 12PM… but this hospital experience was like a horror video game. They were packed. It was 6AM, they had so many people, there were people in beds outside of their rooms.” Eventually, when the doctors checked her over, “they ruled out appendicitis because the pain was going away, and I didn’t have any other symptoms. So, the next thing they thought is, okay, that [her] symptoms are likely to be ovarian cyst… I told them I had just got off my period, but my period had been much later than usual and it was much longer than usual… so they thought that was another symptom.” After a brief ultrasound scan they then, in Rae’s words, “put a camera up my vagina.” After said “traumatizing” experience, her results came back showing “everything is normal,” prompting her to miss her return appointment the day later. “I’m not going!” she exclaims. “I don’t have severe pain anymore, so this is the part where it feels like it’s a money grab at this point. They gave me a pamphlet of my results and I went over them, for every single page, everything is normal.” So while the experience may have reminded her of classic video game titles like Outlast, we’re glad to see that Rae is safe and sound, and very much back to her old self!

Valkyrae “devastated” by fake Nintendo Amiibo ad with Bowser – Dexerto
Valkyrae “devastated” by fake Nintendo Amiibo ad with Bowser YouTube: Valkyrae/NintendoRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has been left devastated after a fake Nintendo Amiibo ad featuring Bowser went viral on Twitter. Sometimes when videos or images go viral on the internet, you have to question whether or not it’s real or edited. A few great examples of this would be the viral graduation tweet featuring xQc, or how a Chinese VTuber faked her own kidnapping. Oftentimes, those photos or videos catch the attention of influencers like 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae who exclaimed that she is “devastated” thanks to a fake Nintendo ad that’s gone viral. Valkyrae “devastated” after fake Nintendo ad goes viral On June 12, a Twitter user by the name of ‘SpillaneTPostre’ posted a clip from Nintendo’s trailer for Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. The Doctor finds Mario and Luigi in the original clip, but the Twitter video has been edited, and it’s not exactly PG. The tweet has received over 16k retweets and nearly 120k likes in the 24 hours after it was posted. The tweet reads: “Nintendo literally made an ad where bowser has to go to the hospital because he shoved an amiibo of himself up his a*s.” Nintendo literally made an ad where bowser has to go to the hospital because he shoved an amiibo of himself up his ass pic.twitter.com/gqHkfPH0sL — The Spillane Who Fell from Grace with the Sea 🌊🎏 (@SpillaneTP) June 12, 2022 Valkyrae was quick to respond on her alternate Twitter account, calling for her followers to quit tagging her in the tweet because “I’m already devastated.” Fans quickly took to the comments confused at the video, and why Rae felt the need to share it. https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1536367985505361920?s=20&t=b7Uujt0RG7CvljPSOFju8Q One user said: “Never in a million yrs would I have thought this could be even a possibility on the list of things I have to read/ppl tag you in.” While another user was simply confused and thought it was the actual commercial at first. never in a million yrs would i have thought this could be even a possibility on the list of things i have to read/ppl tag you in. i had a great nap, coming back to reality has been harsh and abrupt — ☀️🦎 fuslie has my heart tbh (@murphyrecords) June 13, 2022 Either way, it’s clear that fans had a good chuckle out of Valkyrae’s reaction to the video. Valkyrae denies that she’s “quitting” streaming and explains plans for the future – Dexerto
Valkyrae denies that she’s “quitting” streaming and explains plans for the future YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube superstar Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has clarified that she won’t be quitting streaming after hinting that she would “pivot” towards business and investing. After an incredible year that included becoming the most-watched female streamer, starring in a music video, and becoming co-owner of 100 Thieves, fans were shocked to hear that Valkyrae could be taking a step back from streaming and social media. During an April 27 stream, the YouTuber hinted that she would eventually “pivot out of social media” and instead move into business and investing, blaming the “trolls, and hate, and creepiness” she’s been exposed to as a result of being in the public eye. However, in a post shared on her secondary Twitter account on May 3, she’s now clarified that she won’t be quitting streaming after all, reminding fans that she’s been a gamer for her whole life and that passion hasn’t gone away. “BTW when I said I planned to “pivot out of streaming to do business/investing” I didn’t mean entirely,” she tweeted. “As long as there are games and my friends want to play with me, I’ll always stream it. I’ve been gamin’ my whole life why would I ever stop!” Addressing the various comments and articles that have been written about her potentially quitting streaming, Valkyrae added: “Maybe I should mention this on my main LOL WHY ARE THERE ARTICLES OF ME QUITTING?!?” Fans will no doubt be glad to hear that Valkyrae’s plans to focus on business in the future won’t stop her from streaming, but it’s clear that the more toxic side of internet fame is having a negative impact on her. “What makes me happy is being safe,” the YouTube star explained in a previous stream. “[This life] is so exposing, and people — especially on social media — are always looking for the worst in you. They want to find something bad about you and actually use it against you. It’s just scary, really scary.” Just last month, Valkyrae was caught up in a bizarre Minecraft drama after fans of TikTok star Addison Rae accused her of removing TommyInnit from the popular DreamSMP server.

Valkyrae describes “horrifying” altercation with stranger during merchandise photo shoot – Dexerto
Valkyrae describes “horrifying” altercation with stranger during merchandise photo shoot YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streaming star Valkyrae recently teased her upcoming line of merchandise to high praise — but getting nice photographs of the clothing turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hoffstetter is about to unleash her new apparel line, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The YouTuber, who won Content Creator of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards, has already modeled for Gucci, and took her posing skills to the next level when modeling her very own merchandise more recently. Unfortunately, her bid to get nice pics of her clothing line didn’t go so well. The streamer ended up in two hair-raising situations in her efforts to shoot the clothing line on a scenic trail in the LA area that she probably won’t forget anytime soon. My merch website countdown is live!!! :’D 🖤♥️ https://t.co/0m794X1tbD ♥️🖤 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/i6hGXgpDfb — RAE (@Valkyrae) September 19, 2021 Valkyrae encounters a classic Karen during merch photoshoot According to Valkyrae and her buddies, they’d driven up a wrong road attempting to get to the photoshoot location. On a narrow, one-way street, they encountered an older woman who was driving right toward them in a golf cart… and she wouldn’t budge out of the way. “The road was so narrow!” One of her friends remarked. “We could have died if we moved to the side.” “She pulled up next to my car, and she goes, ‘Are you lost?’” Valkyrae mimicked. “And I said, ‘No, we just took a wrong turn.’ And then she said, ‘Well, stay on the right road.’” Valkyrae’s merchandise photoshoot turns into a dangerous affair The angry Karen was nothing compared to what awaited Rae and company at the actual shoot. While Rae was modeling her merch line, a visibly disturbed woman was purportedly staring at her and attempting to get past security. That’s not all; Rae also alleged that the woman had broken a picture frame, which she was using to aggressively hit mailboxes in the area, before approaching the streamer and using abusive language. “She kept calling me a b***h,” Rae claimed. “Like, ‘Oh, who are you? You think you’re better than me?’ She took off her shirt and pulled out a speaker with a cord, and she’s swinging the speaker. And she’s like, ‘What the f**k do you want?’ P***ed at me!” Luckily, Rae was able to get back into her car safely and the crew canceled the photoshoot due to the situation. Despite the entire debacle, Rae expressed sympathy for the woman, stating, “I felt like maybe I triggered something in her. What if she was trying to be an actress and it didn’t work out, and something happened in her life that she resorted to being in the position she’s in now? I don’t know, it was really sad.” “I’m just glad that everyone was safe.”

Valkyrae defends Sykkuno from backlash amid Twitch earnings leak – Dexerto
Valkyrae defends Sykkuno from backlash amid Twitch earnings leak YouTube: Valkyrae / Instagram: sykkuwuYouTube star Valkyrae came to fellow influencer Sykkuno’s defense after he caught backlash over his alleged earnings amid Twitch’s recent data breach. For those out of the loop, Twitch — one of the world’s most popular broadcasting websites — was the victim of a massive data breach on October 6 that leaked such important details as streamers’ passwords, upcoming projects from Amazon, and even streamers’ earnings. This last detail has drawn major attention across social media, with netizens speaking out in outrage over the sheer amount of money some of the site’s top broadcasters have been earning by streaming. However, many content creators have claimed that the figures we’ve seen aren’t totally accurate and don’t factor in things like sponsorship deals, donations, merchandise sales, and other such ventures. https://twitter.com/KnowS0mething/status/1445651544200781830?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1445651544200781830twgrtwcons1_&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comentertainmentsources-twitch-leak-severely-underestimates-earnings-for-biggest-streamers-1669624 Sykkuno faces backlash over leaked Twitch earnings This has only further fueled the fire of outrage against Twitch’s top earners, prompting names like Hasan to trend across Twitter over the matter — but he’s far from the only one getting flak right now. Sykkuno is also facing some backlash amid the information leak, but good friend and fellow broadcaster Valkyrae (who signed an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube last year) quickly came to his defense in a recent stream. Valkyrae comes to Sykkuno’s defense after streamer gets hate over his earnings In her stream, Valkyrae called out users who were hating on Sykkuno due to a popular meme in his community. The meme stems from a childhood story where a leak accidentally ran his family’s water bill up to an exorbitant amount, prompting him to joke about needing to stream in order to pay it off. That’s not all; Sykkuno also spoke about his income during a broadcast, where he notably stated that he was making “ten times less money” than he was at the height of Among Us’s heyday when his popularity was at its peak. “I don’t think I’m poor, but super unstable how much you make,” he said. “So that’s why I feel like streaming is difficult. Because I made ten times as much, back then. I don’t think I’m poor at all, but that’s just how it is when you stream. Streamers aren’t poor, but you don’t know how long it’s gonna last.” https://twitter.com/defnoodlesspicy/status/1445866854593880065 Valkyrae wasn’t amused by the internet’s response to Sykkuno’s comments and the backlash around his community’s popular meme. “I just want to say, if you are genuinely hating Sykkuno right now for the water bill meme, that’s on you, alright?” she clapped back. “Isn’t it obvious that he was trolling? He was trolling. There’s actually people, he’s trending right now, and people actually believe he’s poor baiting.” (Topic begins at 3:00) The leaked information claims that Sykkuno earned around $113,896 in September 2021 alone — although, again, this doesn’t factor in other revenue sources. For now, it’s unclear exactly how much any of these broadcasters are making… but it is clear that it’s causing a ruckus, either way.

Valkyrae cries on stream after brutal Twitter mistake leads to death threats – Dexerto
Valkyrae cries on stream after brutal Twitter mistake leads to death threats YouTube, ValkyraeAfter a slip-up on Twitter caused some of Valkyrae’s fans to attack an unknown user, she used her platform to explain her mistake and apologized on stream. After signing with 100 Thieves in 2018 and becoming a co-owner of the massive organization just three years later, some may consider streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s growth to have happened rather fast. Valkyrae has garnered a fanbase of millions of followers across multiple social media platforms, including her YouTube channel – but with great fame comes great responsibility. On September 3, the 100 Thieves co-owner replied to a distraught fan of Sykkuno on Twitter, not thinking about the millions of people that would read her response. Unfortunately for Rae, her fans did not like her answer, and started attacking the user she replied to. Valkyrae’s response and apology The now-deleted tweet from the upset Sykkuno fan claimed that they did not want to see Rae’s ex-boyfriend ‘Sonii’ appear on a broadcast. Rae had replied to the post, saying, “I’m canceling the stream.” “I would like to address what happened yesterday,” a tearful Rae stated during a YouTube broadcast after the drama went down. “I made a very big mistake. When I reply to people, I tend to forget who can see it.” Rae stated that she has read a lot of opinions on Twitter lately, and decided to reply to one that hurt her specifically. That tweet turned out to be written by a minor, who had gotten attacked by the YouTube streamer’s fanbase… including death threats and gruesome pictures. PLEASE do not harass / send death threats to people sharing their opinions ESPECIALLY ON BEHALF OF ME! I replied to an account and was ignorant of how others would reply to them as well and I feel entirely responsible. I’m sorry to anybody whos attacked by people “”defending”” me — RAE (@Valkyrae) September 4, 2021 When Valkyrae woke up the next morning after making the reply, she saw the response the original tweet was getting and posted a tweet asking everyone to stop. “I make a lot of mistakes, and sometimes, I don’t learn from them the first time,” Rae explained while wiping tears from her eyes. https://youtu.be/7Mq4Bq0E-BY Valkyrae then admitted that she does believe people think too highly of her due to her status as a top streamer, and claimed that she’s merely human, like everyone else. “We are equal,” she explained. This isn’t the first time that someone in her position made such a mistake, and it probably won’t be the last. Judging by her emotional response to the issue, though, it’s looking like Valkyrae isn’t going to let a slip-up like this happen again anytime soon.

Valkyrae defends Corpse Husband after “face reveal” drama – Dexerto
Valkyrae defends Corpse Husband after “face reveal” drama YouTube: Valkyrae, Anthony PadillaYouTube star Valkyrae appeared to come to fellow influencer Corpse Husband’s defense after an alleged “face reveal” of the faceless content creator took over social media. In mid-September, several photos surfaced on Twitter that claimed to show the real identity behind uber-popular YouTuber and music artist Corpse Husband. It’s worth noting that Corpse Husband has never once shown his face online of his own volition, leading to extreme curiosity among his ever-growing fanbase as to what he actually looked like (in part due to his extremely deep voice). Up till now, all fans had to go on was their own artwork and interpretation of his internet persona — but alleged pics of the star that surfaced online were instantly met with extreme criticism and backlash over his appearance. https://twitter.com/Reptile_Penguin/status/1440819104416296964?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1440819104416296964twgrtwcons1_&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comentertainmentcorpse-husband-fans-call-out-double-standards-after-rumored-face-reveal-goes-viral-1662331 Corpse Husband gets backlash over alleged leaked photos of his face While a large number of fans rushed to his defense, the entire debacle opened up a major conversation regarding fan expectations and influencers’ privacy — and fellow YouTuber Valkyrae appeared to chime in on the topic. In a recent live stream, Rae seemed to come to Corpse’s defense, asking that her fans show her friends support amid some especially trying times for them. Valkyrae defends Corpse Husband after he receives hate over alleged leaked photos “I just want you guys to know that every single one of my friends is exactly the same as they are off stream,” she stated. “They are, all of them, every single one, they’re exactly the same person off stream. They all are very, very good people. I love them all dearly, I am very lucky and grateful for the people that I get to call my friends, you know?” “Some of them, not naming any names, but some of them are going through a lot of things, and sometimes life is really, really hard,” she continued. “But it’s just really reassuring knowing that a lot of us have a really solid friend group. Really good support systems. Just be kind. Be kind to my friends. Be super supportive. I can reassure you that they’re very good people. I just think that sometimes the things that have happened to them are so undeserved.” Commenters have expressed similar sentiments, begging their fellow viewers to show compassion and to check their expectations for a content creator who has gone on record predicting that such an event would happen in spite of his efforts to conceal his identity. “I mean, when you have millions of people like ‘I think he looks like this or like this’ and you look dramatically different from all of them, it’s like you’re going to let down a lot of people at once, and I’d rather not do that,” he notably stated in a March YouTube video. It looks like this unfortunate event has come to pass, just as he predicted, resulting in an explosion of online drama and a ferocious debate among his fans and critics, alike.

Valkyrae cracks first ‘blue light’ joke on stream after RFLCT controversy – Dexerto
Valkyrae cracks first ‘blue light’ joke on stream after RFLCT controversy YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter made headlines for the wrong reasons when she announced her RFLCT skincare products — but now she’s seen the funny side and is already cracking jokes about it. The RFLCT skincare drama became a huge topic of discussion among the gaming community when it first surfaced. Valkyrae announced RFLCT as a product to protect against the dangers of blue light that comes from our screens — but was quickly critiqued for it. Many critics called it a scam or misleading, saying that the effects of blue light were being overstated and painting it out to be purely a money-making scheme. While Rae was clearly upset by the backlash, she’s slowly getting through it, resuming her regular streams and playing with friends once again. Read More: Asmongold defends Valkyrae in Twitch return – While she didn’t love fellow streamers such as Mizkif making jokes about the situation, Valkyrae is obviously starting to see the funny side and is able to poke fun at herself as a result. When one viewer asked how her eyes were so blue (she was donning a pair of bright blue contact lenses), Rae said: “You see, I used so much of my blue light cream, it just infused with my eyeballs, and now I have blue eyes. Now I deflect blue light from screens automatically.” Begins 24:28 She even went on to joke that “you guys missed out, you could have blue eyes too,” and her viewers loved it. Joking that the gag was “too soon,” Valkyrae’s chat seemed more than happy to join in on the frivolity, no doubt happy to see the dust settling for their favorite streamer. It appears the worst of the RFLCT controversy – Valkyrae’s first major backlash since skyrocketing in popularity in the past two years – is now behind her, and fans are sympathetic, rather than angry.

Valkyrae crashes Disguised Toast’s ‘surprise’ Twitch stream and fans are obsessed – Dexerto
Valkyrae crashes Disguised Toast’s ‘surprise’ Twitch stream and fans are obsessed YouTube: Valkyrae/ Disguised ToastJeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang’s fans were shocked to see him unexpectedly start streaming on Twitch. However, he wasn’t alone as his pal popular YouTube Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter also made a surprise appearance. As two original members of the ‘Amigops,’ good pals Disguised Toast and Valkyrae always have fans flocking to their streams whenever they reunite, online or in person. Their fans couldn’t get enough when the duo made an appearance in the ‘Tribe Nine’ anime TV show, for instance. Not to mention, they always spark excitement when they meet up with their friends Sykkuno and Corpse Husband for a game of ‘Among Us.’ So, it understandably sent shockwaves across both their fanbases when Valkyrae and Toast suddenly started streaming together. Disguised Toast starts ‘surprise’ livestream On May 22, Toast announced that he was about to start a livestream with special guests Miyoung and Valkyrae. The news came as a complete surprise for fans as the stream started much later than his usual time. “What is happening?” one confused viewer in Toast’s chat asked. Another was shocked to see that there were “zero viewers” watching. However, the numbers quickly started to build as fans got wind of the impromptu broadcast. Many were also surprised to see Valkyrae who was wearing a glamorous evening dress. The 30-year-old was on her way home from attending Gold House’s First Annual Gold Gala after she made the organization’s 2022 A100 list. rae and miyoung came over so i guess we’re streaming pic.twitter.com/He9vaHuxVJ — DSG Toast (@DisguisedToast) May 22, 2022 As with many of the Amigops reunions, the stream slowly turned chaotic as the trio tried to keep the viewers entertained. At one point, Valkyrae decided to treat viewers to some ASMR using her long acrylic nails which she had done especially for the gala. Fans were then left in hysterics as the group tried to play a horror game together, much to the dismay of Miyoung, which had them all jumping out of their skins. Miyoung and Valkyrae eventually left Toast to finish his livestream in peace. However, it will no doubt be long until the trio meets up again for another chaotic reunion.

Valkyrae “considering quitting” YouTube & Twitter over social media hate – Dexerto
Valkyrae “considering quitting” YouTube & Twitter over social media hate YouTube: ValkyraeRachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has shocked her YouTube fans with a huge bombshell — the new 100 Thieves co-owner is tossing up “quitting” streaming and social media to move into business, after a barrage of TikTok hate following a “silly” TommyInnit and Addison Rae mixup. There can be no denying Valkyrae has had a stellar past 18 months. The popular streamer ousted Pokimane as the internet’s most-watched female creator, scored a slice of the 100 Thieves pie in an ownership shuffle, and was even dubbed the new “Queen of YouTube” by yours truly here at Dexerto. Her meteoric rise could be cut short, though, Hofstetter has revealed. According to the YouTube stream queen, there’s a very good chance she’ll “pivot into business and investing,” leaving her online stardom behind. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” she said during her April 27 stream. “There’s definitely going to be a time in my life where I pivot out of social media especially. I don’t want to live this way [with her online fame] for the rest of my life.” “I don’t know when,” she added, “but it’s been on my mind.” The reason, Valkyrae explained, is her place in the public eye. In particular, the 29-year-old has struggled with the vitriol often leveled at content creators — women in particular — on Twitter and other social platforms. “I actually really, really hate social media. It’s scary… I hate it. All the trolls, and hate, and creepiness,” she said. “I just don’t think this fame is really that fulfilling. It’s incredibly invasive. It [quitting] has been on my mind a lot.” That “invasive” beast reared its ugly head recently for Hofstetter too. On Monday, the YouTube star was accused of removing Minecraft personality TommyInnit from the popular DreamSMP server, mainly by Addison Rae followers. It was an odd melting pot of fandoms, and Valkyrae was caught right in the middle of a torrent of misdirected online abuse. “This whole TikTok thing,” she said, “I don’t even know how I got involved in that. It all feels so unnecessary, but it just keeps happening and happening.” Whether Valkyrae actually goes through with her “times up” promise or not, it’s clear she’s reaching some kind of breaking point. “What makes me happy is being safe,” the YouTube star explained. “[This life] is so exposing, and people — especially on social media — are always looking for the worst in you. They want to find something bad about you, and actually use it against you. It’s just scary, really scary.” “I already have things in business and investing, so I can pivot when I’m ready,” she concluded. “I have that plan, I just don’t know when I want to do it.”

Valkyrae & Corpse Husband react to surprise anime ‘cameo’ with Sykkuno & Toast – Dexerto
Valkyrae & Corpse Husband react to surprise anime ‘cameo’ with Sykkuno & Toast Twitter: Corpse Husband / Instagram: ValkyraeValkyrae and Corpse Husband reacted to what they believe is an unexpected ‘cameo’ in the anime Osomatsu after a fan spotted characters that look like them, Sykkuno and Disguised Toast. It’s hard to find a group of streamers more awesome than Valkyrae, Corpse Husband, Sykkuno, and Disguised Toast. The four of them formed a special bond throughout their time streaming together. They even named themselves the ‘amigops’ after Sykkuno misspelled amigos while playing Among Us. But while we typically see the group playing games together, one fan spotted them in an entirely different world. It could be a coincidence, but it seems like four background characters in an anime episode bore a striking resemblance to them. Mr. Osomatsu is comedy anime television series based on the original Osomatsu-kun manga series. It follows the lives of sextuplets as they move into adulthood. But while that doesn’t have anything to do with Valkyrae, Corpse Husband, Sykkuno, and Disguised Toast, it seems like the creators might have given them a little cameo. A fan couldn’t believe their eyes when watching Season 3 Episode 17, which aired on February 2. They spotted characters who looked like them in the background of two separate scenes. “Wait, but all of amigops [are] in s3 ep17 of Osomatsu,” they wrote. https://twitter.com/osoebo/status/1356537904990875650?s=20 The first scene shows what appears to be Sykkuno and Corpse Husband standing in a crowd. Sykkuno’s character looks like the anime portrait of himself on his channel. It even includes a scarf and a jumper with the letters “SY” in the middle. He also has a leaf sticking out of his head like his Among Us character. On the other hand, Corpse Husband’s character is tall and has a messy mop of hair covering his eyes. It also has a mask covering its face. Nobody knows what he looks like in real life. But the character does look like the version of himself depicted in the artwork he uses. He was also thrilled about the potential surprise cameo. “Whoever put Valkyrae, Sykkuno, Disguised Toast, and I into this anime needs a raise ASAP,” he wrote. Sykkuno also retweeted it. WHOEVER PUT @Valkyrae @Sykkuno @DisguisedToast AND I INTO THIS ANIME NEEDS A RAISE ASAP https://t.co/lsLRkXkeg9 — Corpse Husband (@Corpse_Husband) February 2, 2021 The second scene shows their characters sitting alongside two others that look a lot like Valkyrae and Disguised Toast. They’re casually scoffing down some food as the sun sets in the background. “Toast, Sykkuno, Corpse and I with this random cameo?” wrote Valkyrae, who was perhaps a little less convinced but still very excited. toast, sykkuno, corpse and i with this random cameo?! 🤯 https://t.co/dS14kPuqTQ— RAE (@Valkyrae) February 2, 2021 The resemblance is uncanny, but it’s hard to tell whether it was intentional or a coincidence. Either way, the streamers are excited about it, and their fans are too. Perhaps we’re one step closer to seeing an anime about them, which would be a treat.

Valkyrae finally confirms Sykkuno is living with her after weeks of “pretending” – Dexerto
Valkyrae finally confirms Sykkuno is living with her after weeks of “pretending” Instagram: Sykkuno / Instagram: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has finally confirmed that fellow streaming star Sykkuno has moved into her Los Angeles home with Kim ‘Kkatamina’ Mi-young — despite Sykkuno “pretending” to not be there for weeks. One of YouTube’s biggest content creators finally has a new housemate. After rotating out of the 100 Thieves house in 2020 and briefly staying with her friends in OfflineTV’s shared property through 2021, Valkyrae has since moved into her own spot. Residing in sunny LA with Kkatamina, the duo now has a third member under their roof. Having previously teased Sykkuno’s big move out of Los Vegas, it’s now a done deal as Valkyrae confirmed during her latest stream. In fact, it turns out the three internet celebs have already been living together for “weeks,” she confirmed, despite Sykkuno teasing his fanbase all the while. “I am so happy to announce that Sykkuno finally said he lives here,” Rae joked at the start of her February 8 broadcast. Though many watching along quickly informed her that they already picked up on a few clues. The pair just so happened to be playing Valorant together earlier in the week. It was during that session Sykkuno painted himself into a corner and had to improvise a story. “I found a ukelele,” he said before realizing what he’d said. “You found it where? This room you walked into?” Valkyrae fired back while laughing. “There’s a room in my apartment that I didn’t know was there,” he said. “Just a weird, new room, there it was.” Outside of their joint streams, attentive fans even picked up on Rae “screeching” in the background a few times while Sykkuno was live. Finally addressing it all on stream, even she was confused as to why it was all kept under wraps. “We talked about having him move in here so much and this dude pretended for like two weeks that he didn’t live here. I didn’t want to be the one to say anything first.” Despite admittedly “gaslighting” viewers to believe he wasn’t in LA, the truth finally spilled out. Now we know for certain: Sykkuno, Valkyrae, and Kkatamina will no longer have to act coy on stream.

Valkyrae confirms she will avoid ‘AAVE language’ after using phrase on stream – Dexerto
Valkyrae confirms she will avoid ‘AAVE language’ after using phrase on stream YT: ValkyraeYouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has pledged to avoid using AAVE language after stream mods and viewers raised concern over a phrase the 30-year-old used while live. Valkyrae is one of YouTube’s most popular streamers, regularly broadcasting a host of titles to thousands of viewers. She also frequently affirms her love for what she does, claiming recently that she plans to still stream when she’s 80 years old. Now, following an October 13 livestream, she has pledged to avoid using African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) language after some viewers and a mod took issue with a phrase she used. Valkyrae apologizes to YouTube audience for using AAVE language Discussing the topic, she explained that she doesn’t believe non-black people should use AAVE and that, after hearing friends use a certain phrase, she thought it was “cute” and so began using it as well. Although she did not say the phrase in question, various Redditors commented that it was “on a stack no cap”, used while playing Riot Games’ Valorant. “It was something that I’ve heard my friends say,” she explained. “I thought it was cute and it rhymes and stuff. It was brought to my attention by mods actually and I just wanted to clarify, now I know. My mod sent me a lovely document on the issue. So I just wanted to let you guys know I’m aware now and I’m sorry if I offended anyone, I really didn’t intend to. But now I know.” Timestamp: 8:12 She finished by explaining that she believed it was made up by Generation Z, but that this is a “misconception”. As a result, she will no longer use the phrase. Some suggested the apology was unnecessary but many other viewers praised Valkyrae for her comments and self-reflection, suggesting that the ability to listen to feedback and change behavior is a practice more folks on the internet should try and emulate.

Valkyrae confirms return after short break from streaming – Dexerto
Valkyrae confirms return after short break from streaming ValkyraeYouTube star Valkyrae has confirmed she’ll be returning to streaming after going on a short hiatus to spend time with family. Whether it be burnout, stress, injuries, or just to take a step away, sometimes our favorite content creators need a bit of a break — especially considering some put in more hours than a full-time job. With that said, it’s not uncommon to see them take a break every once and a while to refresh themselves, with notably the likes of Asmongold and League of Legends star Faker notably needing to take a rest in recent times. Likewise, YouTube star Valkyrae took a step away from her desk at the beginning of July, leaving to head to Germany for her cousin’s wedding and to spend time with family. Now, after a little break, the YouTuber streamer has confirmed when she’s set to make her return. Valkyrae confirms when she is returning to streaming On July 16, Valkyrae responded to one of her fans expressing how they’re patiently awaiting her return — confirming she’s set to go live in just a couple of days. “Got some crazy streams planned this week when I’m back,” she replied. “I’m excited!!! Just a few more days.” It’s fair to say fans were absolutely thrilled, with many showing their excitement for the streamer’s return. “So excited for the streams, can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned!” one fan wrote. “I’ll be counting the days. I’m excited,” said another. Furthermore, according to an Instagram story on July 16, the 100 Thieves co-owner is currently in Germany, spending some quality time with her family, and is expecting to return home in just a few days. “Will be home from Germany in 2 more days!” a story caption read. “First time traveling to spend time with family and not worrying about streaming/content/work for once.” She added: “I feel so rejuvenated and excited to get back home and stream. I have a few stories to share.” Over the course of the past eight years, Valkyrae has established herself as one of the biggest names in the streaming world. It’s unclear if she intends to stream on the day she returns home from her trip. However, we’re sure fans will show up in the masses regardless of whenever she goes live again.

Valkyrae claims vandalized Lamborghini was “just a matter of time” – Dexerto
Valkyrae claims vandalized Lamborghini was “just a matter of time” ValkyraeYouTube streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae had her Lamborghini vandalized, though she has claimed it was only a matter of time before it happened. While many try their best to keep their private lives away from the internet, it’s certainly not uncommon for some of the biggest influencers to have their property damaged. Whether it be their houses or cars broken into, or even sometimes having their belongings stolen, it’s almost impossible to completely avoid. YouTube streamer and 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae is one of the latest targets, revealing she had her car vandalized. Valkyrae’s Lamborghini Urus vandalized In an April 1 tweet, Valkyrae revealed to her fans that her dream car, which she bought in September 2022, had been vandalized. Valkyrae claimed it was only a matter of time until it happened, blaming it on the fact she lives in Los Angeles. “Could always be worse but it truly was just a matter of time living in LA,” she tweeted. The YouTube star also shared two photos showing the passenger window of her $200k Lamborghini Urus being smashed and torn off. While many of her fans showed support, Twitch streamer Foolish Gamers joked that April Fools’ day pranks are getting a bit out of hand. “These April fools’ pranks getting out of hand,” he wrote, with Valkyrae responding: “I wish this was a joke LOL.” Others creators also chimed in with their support. “That sucks!! Sorry to hear,” said Jacksepticeye. “Street parking in the Lambo gotta be the most nerve-wracking thing possible,” SirDimetrious added. It certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen an influencer’s vehicle being messed with. Recently, Ludwig had his “dream car” stolen from his warehouse during a power outage in LA. Thankfully, the YouTube streamer was able to track down the vehicle and get it back the next day.

Valkyrae claps back at bizarre claims she “hates” kkatamina – Dexerto
Valkyrae claps back at bizarre claims she “hates” kkatamina YouTube: Valkyrae/Twitter: kkataminaYouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter went off on a viewer after they made a comment claiming she secretly hates kkatamina. When Valkyrae went live on December 8, Kim ‘kkatamina‘ Miyoung was scheduled to join her on stream. When she didn’t make it on time, Rae made a joke about how she hasn’t shown up. After explaining that Miyoung brought up the idea of doing a 48-hour stream together, Valkyrae joked: “Miyoung cant even show up on time or wake up, you think she can do a 48-hour stream with multiple people? No, she cannot.” However, one of her viewers took her joke seriously and made a comment about it that didn’t quite sit well with the 100 Thieves co-owner. Rae then proceeded to tear into the viewer regarding their comment. Valkyrae goes off on stream viewer While Rae was setting up to do a Reddit recap on stream, she noticed her viewers discussing a comment made by someone who was taking her joke too seriously. The creator went back to read the comment: “I love how Rae pretends to not be annoyed by Miyoung not showing up and actually hates her guts right now.” As she started laughing, she said: “There’s no way that’s real. I live really far away from everyone, I’m totally trolling. She’s coming to the next stream anyway, I don’t need my friends to show up at the exact time because I can do other things. “I think you’re projecting, and you’re mad she’s not here because maybe you’re one of her stalkers. Just cause you’re upset, doesn’t mean that I am.” Starts at 26:51 in the video Just when Rae’s viewers thought she was done, she added: “Change your username. I don’t like that we share the first three letters. You’re embarrassing me, stop it.” On November 24, kkatamina became the most-subscribed female on Twitch after reaching 72,609 subs during her two-week subathon. This achievement also placed her in second overall, falling just behind xQc but beating NICKMERCS and Hasan. Valkyrae helped Miyoung reach that goal by donating thousands of subscribers during the marathon stream.

Valkyrae claims she was “threatened” for a year before social media hack – Dexerto
Valkyrae claims she was “threatened” for a year before social media hack YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hoffstetter revealed key details dating back to when her social media accounts were compromised in 2019, claiming the hackers had threatened her for an entire year beforehand. Valkyrae is one of the most popular broadcasters on the net right now, and one of the most-watched female streamers overall. After parting ways with Twitch to switch to YouTube in 2020, she’s continued to rise to greater heights — but not everything has been sunshine and roses for the star. Most recently, Rae became the target of massive backlash after releasing her skincare line, RFLCT, which aimed to protect skin from “blue light” from computer and phone screens. She has since parted ways with the brand in light of criticism over the product’s claims. Valkyrae opens up about previous social media hack During a comeback broadcast discussing the RFLCT backlash, Rae spoke about another stressful situation that happened to her in 2019 when her social media accounts were hacked. The streamer revealed that the hackers had threatened to take action against her for a year before finally infiltrating her accounts, successfully breaching her Instagram, and even going live on her Twitch channel. “It was the most stressful thing ever,” she recalled. “These guys that hacked me, they were threatening me for over a year that they were gonna hack my stuff. “I was prepared, you know. I had nothing that was leakable. ‘Hack my stuff — you won’t!’” That wasn’t the worst part, though; Rae also said that the hackers had taken control of her dog’s Instagram account and had even deleted several of the pooch’s puppy photos, which Instagram unfortunately couldn’t retrieve. Luckily, Rae was able to get everything back under her control thanks to help from her agent. Now though, she’s well prepared in case of another attack on her privacy, to the point of having two phones as an extra security measure. “Streamers and stuff, we’re all paranoid about breaches of privacy,” she admitted. It’s clear they have reason to be, if the hack against her is anything to go by.

Valkyrae claims Among Us isn’t dead on YouTube despite burnout concerns – Dexerto
Valkyrae claims Among Us isn’t dead on YouTube despite burnout concerns Instagram: Valkyrae / InnerslothAmong Us is still one of the most popular video games on YouTube according to the platform’s star Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, despite claims that many top creators have become burnt out. No game saw a meteoric rise quite like Among Us did in 2020. The game became a sensation for months on end with the world’s most popular names all jumping in lobbies together and joining the fun. As the game shot into the stratosphere, so too did YouTube’s very own Valkyrae. Thanks to her consistent grind throughout the year, she overtook Pokimane to become the most-watched female streamer of the year. Despite many internet celebs moving on from the title in 2021, it’s still undeniably massive. In fact, it’s still shocking to even Valkyrae just how popular Among Us content continues to be all this time later. “Surprisingly people are still enjoying it,” she said in a February 3 episode of The CouRage & Nadeshot Show. “There’s still views for it on YouTube. I definitely have the most viewers when I play Among Us on YouTube and the videos do really well.” Even after a mega-popular collaboration with the world’s biggest streamers in Rust, Among Us still appears to reign supreme. “People still really enjoy it, not so much the game itself but the way people interact with each other.” On the topic of burning out from the title like plenty of others have, the 100 Thieves personality explained how she’s still enjoying the game. “I personally am not burnt out,” she emphasized. “I just wish they would add more content faster. Valkyrae “can’t believe” Addison Rae launched a blue light product after RFLCT – Dexerto
Valkyrae “can’t believe” Addison Rae launched a blue light product after RFLCT YouTube: Valkyrae / Instagram: addisonraeeYouTube star Valkyrae said she’s “shocked” by Addison Rae launching a new blue light skincare line months after the controversy regarding her own, similar products. Last year, streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter went viral after launching a skincare line designed to protect the skin against the allegedly harmful effects of blue light from computers, phones, and other devices. Despite the products’ powerful claims, Valkyrae’s skincare venture quickly came under fire as critics noted there’s not much conclusive evidence proving that blue light can be damaging. Rae eventually shut down the project. Her RFLCT line was removed from ULTA’s online store, and the brand’s official website was banished to the Shadow Realm. Months later, TikTok star Addison Rae launched a hauntingly similar product line within her already-existing Item Beauty repertoire. The reveal was instantly met with backlash, hearkening back to the drama surrounding RFLCT in October 2021. Valkyrae initially commented on the matter via Twitter, claiming that she “wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same company” and even joked about rebranding to “just Valky.” She elaborated on her stance in a live stream the next day, claiming she was “shocked” by the reveal and wanted to reach out to Addison Rae to support her amid the ongoing controversy regarding her latest skincare venture. IM REBRANDING TO JUST VALKY LOL HOW IS THIS REAL?! I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same company🙃 https://t.co/aK074ioDUs — RAE (@Valkyrae) February 2, 2022 Valkyrae offers Addison Rae advice amid blue light skincare launch “I was shocked,” she admitted. “I kind of want to message her and be like, ‘Listen, hey girl. Rae to Rae, man. If you wanna vent to me, you know, is there something… you wanna talk about it?’” “I just can’t believe that this happened!” she continued. “I can’t believe it!” Rae also admitted that her agent had initially warned her against saying anything regarding the line, as she’s still risking possible lawsuits after breaking her RFLCT contract. Thus far, Addison hasn’t commented on the subject — probably because she’s busy taking some unique inspiration for her next big acting project.

Valkyrae celebrates becoming “official” voice actor on mystery project – Dexerto
Valkyrae celebrates becoming “official” voice actor on mystery project YouTube: Valkyrae / Twitter: itsraechillYouTube streamer Valkyrae shocked fans by announcing that she’s become an “official” voice actress, sparking rumors that she’s involved in an upcoming anime. Valkyrae is a popular streamer signed with YouTube gaming who boasts over 3.5 million subscribers on the video platform. However, she’s recently branched out into other fields like voice acting, recently lending her voice to a character in Funimation’s Tribe Nine anime earlier this year alongside fellow streamers Corpse Husband and Sykkuno. It seems as though she’s taken on another voice acting role, as the streamer recently tweeted about making the career choice “official” on Twitter. “Officially a real voice actress,” she wrote in a post on June 30. “Can’t wait for you all to see the episodes eventually!” It’s currently unclear what show Rae will be acting in, but fans are seriously excited, nonetheless. https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1542605140875567105?s=20&t=rl7vy-ul86JuCcXmNhUTbw This news comes on the heels of encouragement for Rae to get into voice acting from fellow streamer, voice actress, and musician LilyPichu back in March. Although at the time it was merely a funny incident, it clearly preceded a big change for Rae, who also recently appeared in an official ad for Fall Guys alongside CouRage. That’s not all; Rae is even rubbing shoulders with some major acting talent like ‘Stranger Things’ actress Grace Van Dien for a joint live stream. It’s clear that Rae’s got big things coming in the future, and we can’t wait to see what this mysterious project holds.

Valkyrae buys “dream car” and calls the decision a “new chapter” in her life – Dexerto
Valkyrae buys “dream car” and calls the decision a “new chapter” in her life YouTube: ValkyraeValkyrae revealed she has bought a brand new car, explaining in a new vlog her reasoning for the purchase and what this means for her going forward. In her September 20 YouTube video, popular content creator Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter vlogged the journey she went on to pick up her brand new car. The vlog began with her and her friends driving to pick up her Lamborghini, the video then detailing her first drive in the car as well as a small update at the end about her life and plans for the rest of 2022. Early on in the video, Valkyrae explained the reason for purchasing the new Lamborghini Urus. “My mum’s car broke down and she really loved my car and so I was like hey you can have my car.” As a result, Valkyrae found herself in need of a new car and decided that now was the time to “spend some money” and “splurge” on a big purchase. “It feels a little sickening how much I spent on this car but I love it.” In the vlog, Valkyrae provided a tour of the car’s interior and exterior – with the car salesman even talking through some of the features and buttons when Valkyrae expressed confusion. Online, Valkyrae’s community – as well as other content creators – have been expressing how happy and excited they are for her. Valkyrae calls out “delusional” fans for attacking streamer friends – Dexerto
Valkyrae calls out “delusional” fans for attacking streamer friends Valkyrae / YouTubePopular streamer Valkyrae directly addressed her viewers over the behavior of some “parasocial” fans who had been sending harmful messages to her friends. For any popular streamer, it’s common for some fans become “parasocial” – believing they are closer than the streamer-viewer relationship. Valkyrae, as one of the biggest names in streaming, suffers from phenomenon this more than most. During a live stream on August 22, 2023, Rae had to once again shut down claims that she had fallen out with members of her fellow content creator friends, as fans had begun to speculate about feuds. Valkyrae addresses ‘parasocial’ viewers After returning to streaming after a vacation, Rae enjoyed playing with her friends for hours on Valorant before going on to address some of the chatter from viewers. She explains that her friends had been even harassed online with negative comments due to some in the community assuming their tongue-in-cheek interactions were serious. “I just feel, like, some people get really parasocial and they’re like, ‘How dare they insult my streamer?” Valkyrae said. This was in response to viewers who had fired nasty messages on socials at her friends who regularly feature on her streams. She continued, “Some people are just blinded by whatever. If I’m hanging out with someone, just know – I love them and we are Gucci.” A lot of the negative attention from fans revolved around her relationships with Blau and Ludwig, but she confirmed explicitly that they were indeed friends. Valkyrae has grown a dedicated fan base over the years, now boasting over 3.9 million subscribers. She blew up thanks to her gaming streams, and she has since become a co-owner of 100 Thieves and was named Content Creator of the Year at the Game Awards. Valkyrae has had to address similar concerns before, with various fans who had been wrongly under the assumption that she and Pokimane had fallen out due to Poki’s controversial take regarding xQc’s Kick deal. In related news, IShowSpeed became enraged at his viewers after constant reposting and taunting of his infamous wardrobe malfunction.

Valkyrae breaks silence on RFLCT drama: “All the hate is warranted” – Dexerto
Valkyrae breaks silence on RFLCT drama: “All the hate is warranted” Valkyrae / RFLCTValkyrae responded to criticism of her RFLCT skincare line shortly after its launch, calling the hate and doubts she’s received “valid” as her team looks to fix the situation. RFLCT immediately drew ire for its claim of protecting users from “potentially harmful” blue light that comes from all screens. The 100 Thieves co-owner said she was also confused about the product launch. She took issue with the lack of communication on the website to studies and research that led to RFLCT. Valkyrae statement on RFLCT drama Valkyrae broke her silence two days after her initial response when criticisms first unfolded. At the time, she said she, too, was confused, but couldn’t elaborate. On Oct 21, she shared more about what had gone wrong in her eyes and said that the hate toward the situation was valid. “I’ve been waiting to speak and to stream until after I see how the RFLCT website has been updated,” she said. “All the hate, the doubt, concerns and the criticism are all warranted and valid. I understand completely where you’re all coming from.” “I also was very upset and confused when I saw the website and there were no links to the studies or credits to the labs or the people that work behind the scenes to make RFLCT happen.” https://twitter.com/Valkyrae/status/1451299256657068034 Valkyrae’s return to streaming Up to this point, Valkyrae hasn’t gone live on her YouTube channel, as she was previously advised to refrain from speaking on the matter. Valkyrae is waiting for her team to update RFLCT’s site with the proper links and details of her product and its benefits. She expects to return to streaming and will share more details of what’s happening with RFLCT as soon as the site is updated.

Valkyrae & Bella Poarch break the internet with epic Valentine’s Day photoshoot – Dexerto
Valkyrae & Bella Poarch break the internet with epic Valentine’s Day photoshoot Twitter: Valkyrae, Bella Poarch, FuslieInternet stars Valkyrae and Bella Poarch are ringing in Valentine’s Day with a bang after unleashing a surprise photoshoot together — and the internet losing their minds. YouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and TikTok star-turned-music artist Bella Poarch are two major powerhouses in the influencer space. The two are fairly close friends, as well, with Rae notably appearing in Poarch’s ‘Inferno’ music video alongside several other prominent streamers in August 2021. But no one was expecting Valkyrae to announce she would be revealing a full-scale photoshoot with Poarch for Valentine’s Day — and that’s exactly what she did. On February 14, 2022, Poarch and Hofstetter unleashed a slew of photos on their Twitter timelines, showing the pair decked out in several jaw-dropping outfits to celebrate Valentine’s Day (and Poarch’s birthday, which was on February 8). Poarch even created a full-on website to showcase all of the photos and behind-the-scenes videos, some of which they shared to social media, too. Happy Valentine’s Rae😈🖤 @Valkyrae pic.twitter.com/FiO1LvlVb3 — Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch) February 14, 2022 Streamers react to Valkyrae & Bella Poarch Valentine’s Day photoshoot It’s safe to say that these pics broke the internet, with several high profile content creators losing their minds in the comments section. “OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I FELL TO MY KNEES IN THE MIDDLE OF TARGET,” streamer Emma Langevin praised. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I FELL TO MY KNEES IN THE MIDDLE OF TARGET — Emma 🦷 (@emmalangevin) February 14, 2022 “Love is fake,” Minecraft star Dream joked in a comment, to which Valkyrae responded: “Who hurt you, Dream?” “My heart stopped when I saw these pics,” Twitch streamer Fuslie said. “YOU TWO ARE SO HOT!” “Happy birthday, I’m just glad Valentine’s Day isn’t real,” YouTuber Quackity replied. Even esports organizations got in on the fun, with SoaR Gaming saying in a cheeky reply: “What I would give to be the teddy bear in the 3rd pic.” Bella Poach also interacted with streamer Karl Jacobs, who jokingly told Valkyrae happy birthday as a cheeky congrats on their internet-breaking shoot. https://twitter.com/bellapoarch/status/1493300861899972614 It seems that the deadly duo did, in fact, break the internet: Shortly after posting their pics to Twitter, Poarch revealed that they’d been temporarily disabled on Dropbox, where it seems they were hosting images from the photoshoot. Screenshots from Dropbox support shows that the influencers were “generating excessive traffic” and needed to upgrade their subscription to continue hosting their images. Omg we broke Dropbox😭😭😭@Valkyrae https://t.co/R13DVRiQ3s pic.twitter.com/nrB1XZwRGw — Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch) February 14, 2022 It’s clearer now than ever that the internet can’t get enough of Valkyrae and Bella Poarch’s spicy Valentine’s Day pics, leading some fans to wonder if this collab could signal for even more projects from the two influencers in the future – say, perhaps, another music video?

Valkyrae begins stream in tears after running late: “I hate letting people down” – Dexerto
Valkyrae begins stream in tears after running late: “I hate letting people down” YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube streaming sensation ‘Valkyrae’ explained why she began a recent stream in tears, claiming she felt frustrated and “overwhelmed” after running behind. Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the internet’s most popular broadcasters. After signing an exclusive streaming contract with YouTube last year, she went on to be crowned Content Creator of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards, and has even risen to prominence as one of the most-watched female influencers. As such, it isn’t too surprising that she feels somewhat pressured to please her 3 and a half million subscribers… but sometimes, this inner drive can result in overwhelming emotions. In a recent broadcast — after revealing to fans that her recently-diagnosed TMJ was throwing a wrench in her streaming schedule — Valkyrae appeared to be quite distressed, constantly fixing her makeup and adjusting her outfit. When fans asked why she seemed so frazzled, she admitted that she’d been crying just before appearing on stream and wanted to make sure she wasn’t out of sorts. She then admitted that she was “overwhelmed” by everything on her plate, and had been an hour late to her stream due to other obligations. “I was crying just before stream, so I keep looking into OBS, but I feel like my makeup has melted, and I feel like I need to fix myself, but I feel like it’s too late!” she laughed before opting to wear her glasses. View this post on Instagram “It’s okay, I’m just very overwhelmed,” she added. “I was mostly crying because I was so pissed off that I was an hour late to stream. I hate when I let people down. I told people four thirty, and I was an hour late.” “What if people cancel something, or move stuff around, and they plan to be here at four thirty, and they were just waiting for me? And I just couldn’t go live? I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry! It’s one of those days.” (Topic begins at 0:36) Luckily, it seemed like Valkyrae was able to get everything under control, and her fans didn’t seem too worried about her running a bit behind, considering all that she was dealing with outside of her regular streaming schedule.

Valkyrae begs CodeMiko to join NoPixel GTA RP server – Dexerto
Valkyrae begs CodeMiko to join NoPixel GTA RP server Twitter: Valkyrae, Twitch: CodeMikoIn a recent interview with Twitch V-Tube star CodeMiko, 100 Thieves co-owner and YouTube star Rachaell ‘Valkyrae’ Hoffstetter has urged her to join the NoPixel GTA RP server. As soon as CodeMiko announced that her latest interviewees would be Valkyrae and SushiDragon, both streamers’ fans went absolutely wild. In Rae’s case, fans were excited to see their idol in her first interview since her sit down with 100 Thieves, where she discussed everything from her switch to YouTube, to the misogynistic hate that accompanied the announcement that she was co-owner of the esports org. Of course, we got a very different style of interview from Miko, who opened up to Rae about being afraid of joining GTA RP. The queen of YouTube was having none of it, though. CodeMiko admits she’s “scared” of GTA RP After a bizarre segment that involved Miko spraying G-Fuel at her monitor to let Rae “have a sip,” the talk turns to GTA when Rae reveals that she’s currently playing on the NoPixel server. “Wait, how are you not [on the server]?” she asks the V-Tube star , noting that: “I feel like you would do so well.” Miko responded: “I am scared of going into GTA RP… So I’m relatively new to the streaming space right? So I’ve been around for a while but in terms of games with other streamers – very new. “I’m afraid that if I go and do GTA RP it’ll be like high school all over again where I’m alone in the library doing my homework, and I try to make friends, and I look really stupid.” Rae responed with an uplifting message. “Listen, I feel you. I used to only play solo games too… But GTA’s different,” she added. “I feel like everyone is on there to make content and just role-play a different character and honestly, you’ll feel more welcome than you expect. Trust me. “I was so afraid,” she continues. “I had people teaching me and my friends how to play and learn the ropes and stuff. It’s really easy to make friends on GTA. Trust me.” She concludes by telling Miko that “I think you would do so well. The hardest part was learning how to play and how to role play.” Even when Miko asks if it’s okay if she’s “a little bit on the edgy side,” Rae reassures here that there are “edgy people for [her].” Obviously, role play is something that Miko knows exactly how to do, and she does it with so much character. It’s clear Rae wants to see her get involved. Maybe this interview will inspire the V-Tube icon to take GTA RP for a spin, but only time will tell if Miko decides to become the edgiest character that Los Santos has ever seen.

Valkyrae becomes Among Us “icon” after smashing massive milestone – Dexerto
Valkyrae becomes Among Us “icon” after smashing massive milestone YouTube: ValkyraeYouTube star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has been proclaimed an “icon” by Among Us devs after she reached 500 gameplay hours in the online multiplayer. 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae certainly has a wide catalogue of games that feature during her livestreams. Some of her favorites are Valorant, GTA RP, and Fortnite. However, nothing quite holds her heart like Among Us. The social deduction game even helped spark her close friendship with her fellow ‘Amigops’ and her ‘Sussy Sundays’ have brought in some incredible viewership numbers for her. With the amount of time she spends on the title, it’s no surprise that Valkyrae has managed to plug in hundreds of hours into it and Among Us’ developers are clearly very grateful. Valkyrae reaches 500 hours playing Among Us On August 1, Valkyrae shared her delight at reaching 500 hours playing Among Us, according to her Steam account. The Among Us Twitter account then reached out to the YouTuber calling her an “absolute icon” for the achievement. It comes over a year after Valkyrae announced her hopes to ‘save’ Among Us after the game’s popularity nosedived in early 2021 following its viral success. Although, despite Valkyrae’s huge achievement, some fans boasted that they had plugged an even bigger amount of time into the game. Her fellow streamer Kara Corvus, for instance, claimed that her total amount of time playing Among Us weighs in at a whopping 1.7k hours. So, Valkyrae may not have the biggest numbers out there in terms of her gameplay hours. Yet, that hasn’t stopped her from becoming one of the most popular Among Us streamers in the community and, arguably, helped the game enjoy a popularity boost once again.

Valkyrae “baffled” by Ludwig using RFLCT drama in Mogul Money without warning – Dexerto
Valkyrae “baffled” by Ludwig using RFLCT drama in Mogul Money without warning YouTube: Valkyrae, LudwigRachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has revealed that she’s “baffled” at Ludwig using the RFLT drama on Mogul Money without warning, especially when she was supposed to be on the show. Ludwig’s Mogul Money is a Jeopardy-inspired game show that the creator live-streams onto his channel, with other influencers starring as the contestants. On December 1, Valkyrae was scheduled to appear on the final episode of the show. However, a personal emergency popped up so Fuslie took her spot — and she’s glad she couldn’t go. Valkyrae is glad she missed Mogul Money When a viewer asked about Valkyrae’s scheduled appearance on the show, she explained that she had a personal emergency the night before and was happy Fuslie accepted the spot. She then added: “Honestly, I’m glad I couldn’t go. Because Ludwig had the audacity to have a RFLCT category [on the show]. “I was already anxious because of the show and that it’s live-streamed, but then I had a feeling that he would add a skincare or RFLCT category.” Rae then explained that she didn’t think Ludwig would actually do that, before realizing that he actually did. Conversation starts at 14:28 Hofstetter added: “I’m just kind of baffled that he didn’t ask me about it or warn me, so I’m kind of glad I didn’t go. The number of times I heard RFLCT on the show physically pained me.” Finishing off the conversation, the YouTube streamer explained that she does understand that Ludwig was just trolling, but still doesn’t like when people bring it up. Back in October, the 100 Thieves co-owner launched the RFLCT skincare line with the intention of preventing blue-light emission from damaging your skin. She was quickly met with backlash from those skeptical of the product that led her to start therapy and the end of the product just weeks after launch.

Valkyrae apologizes to QTCinderella after Streamer Awards complaints – Dexerto
Valkyrae apologizes to QTCinderella after Streamer Awards complaints YouTube: Valkyrae/Twitch: QTCinderella100 Thieves co-owner and popular YouTube streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter reached out to QTCinderella to apologize for her criticism of the Streamer Awards, which QT helped to organize alongside fellow streamer Maya Higa. The Streamer Awards was a live, in-person event that brought together some of the most popular streamers across YouTube and Twitch, with a number of awards for all different categories. While the awards show was celebrated a lot by fans and creators alike, there were some issues that certain people took with it. Sykkuno said he was confused by the lack of Amigops representation in the Among Us section, and Ludwig admitted his Streamer of the Year award over xQc was a “bummer.” The day after the awards, Valkyrae was talking about them on stream and, while she did give a lot of praise for the amount of effort that went into it all, did air some of her grievances with the show. Rae said that in the recap video of the year, it “felt very OTK oriented” and commented on the fact that she wasn’t included in the video package that showed some of the streamers that switched from Twitch to YouTube. While QTCinderella said that some of the criticism felt “unfair” she did add that she “feels bad” after hearing some of Rae’s comments. Before long, Valkyrae jumped in a call with QTCinderella to explain what she was saying and apologize for how badly it had all come across. “I hate that you saw that one clip and it looks so sh*t,” she said. “I’m so, so, so sorry. I literally praised you … It looks so sh**ty … I definitely worded things in a terrible way.” Rae then went on to tweet about the ordeal on her alt account, saying: “I wish I was more well-spoken and could properly articulate what I’m trying to say.” https://twitter.com/itsraechill/status/1503616447242596352?s=21 There’s no doubt the Streamer Awards were hugely popular, and Valkyrae had so many nice things to say about the event as did much of her peers — it just so happens that this one complaint reached QTCinderella.

Valkyrae is back on track after RFLCT drama: “I don’t want to let it hinder me anymore” – Dexerto
Valkyrae is back on track after RFLCT drama: “I don’t want to let it hinder me anymore” YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter told fans her mental health is back on track after the RFLCT skincare line drama, claiming it’s not as “terrible” as it was and she doesn’t want to “let it hinder her anymore”. Valkyrae faced plenty of backlash after she announced her own skincare line, RFLCT. The brand was effectively terminated following claims it was based on pseudoscience. The entire saga took a toll on her mental health. After taking some time off to focus on her wellbeing, her return stream went off to a rocky start after Mizkif cracked a joke at her expense. But it wasn’t long before she lightened up and even made one herself. Rae’s been back for two weeks now. However, fans are still concerned about her mental state. They asked her about it on stream. She responded, telling them she’s doing “okay” and that things are “going up.” “How’s my mental health been? Um, my mental health is the same,” she said. “I have a lot of anxiety, but I don’t know how much of that is being caused by just me being unhealthy. I’m super unhealthy right now.” But after thinking about it a little more, she changed her tune. “My mental is okay. It’s not nearly as terrible as it was when I was going through it those two weeks. I was having really dark thoughts, but I don’t have those thoughts anymore.” “I’m in more of a positive mindset than a negative mindset. I’m more grateful for the things that I do have. I have a lot to be grateful for. So, I feel like something like this… I don’t want to let it hinder me anymore.” To help her progress, she plans on fixing her diet, sleep schedule, and more. “I’ve got to start taking care of myself because physically and mentally I’m just like, blah. But yeah, overall, I’m going up. I’m going up!” Not everyone was out to get her over the controversy, though. A number of popular streamers including Asmongold, 100 Thieves CEO Nadeshot, and Sykkuno defended her. Rae has been making an effort to spread positivity since she returned to streaming too. She gifted $5,000 worth of Twitch subs to support Miyoung ‘Kkatamina’ Kim’s subathon — which also added hours of content.

Valkyrae apologizes for “I wish I was gay” comment on stream Instagram: valkyraePopular streamer Valkyrae has apologized for a comment she made about ‘wishing she was gay,’ letting fans know she understands the comment could come off as “invalidating LGBTQ+ struggles.” Valkyrae is one of the most popular streamers on the internet, and ever since she partnered exclusively with YouTube in January 2020, she has experienced an ever-growing rise in popularity. Recently, she blew the internet away by portraying Corpse Husband in the music video for his and Machine Gun Kelly’s new song ‘DAYWALKER!,’ with congratulation messages and high praise flooding in from both fans and fellow streamers. However, some viewers had concerns over something the streamer while live, leading to her post an apology message via Twitter. “”I wish I was gay.. I love women so much”” As I was reading the VOD comments, some mentioned while they understand I didn’t mean any harm, it comes off as invalidating lgbtq+ struggles as being straight is a privilege. The streamer currently has over 3.2 million subscribers on YouTube, and she regularly gets over a million views on her videos, which consist of her playing a variety of games with other popular streamers like Sykkuno. Valkyrae announces release date for YouTube’s gifted memberships beta – Dexerto
Valkyrae announces release date for YouTube’s gifted memberships beta Unsplash.com: Alexander Shatov / Instagram: ValkyraeStreaming star Valkyrae has broken the news that YouTube will be testing out gifted channel memberships as more and more broadcasters migrate from Twitch. YouTube recently welcomed Sykkuno into its ranks, adding yet another major Twitch powerhouse to its numbers as more and more personalities appear to leave the purple platform for alternative sites. The two companies are often at the center of conversations regarding which is the “best” streaming service… and it looks like this debate just got a tad more heated. On May 10, 2022, YouTube streamer Valkyrae made a big announcement on her personal Twitter account, revealing the official release date for YouTube’s upcoming beta version of gifted channel memberships. The beta is scheduled to start on May 11 and is, currently, seemingly exclusive for YouTube streamers Valkyrae, CouRage, and TimTheTatMan, who all made similar announcements. That’s not all; Valkyrae also hinted at “many more changes to come,” signaling that the platform could be in for even more competitive adjustments in the near future. “Been streaming on YouTube for 2.5 years and just so happy to see the platform continue to focus working on improving the streaming side of it,” she said of the news. Excited to announce that starting May 11th, memberships Gifting Beta will be enabled for YouTube streams! Been streaming on YouTube for 2.5 years and just so happy to see the platform continue to focus working on improving the streaming side of it. Many more changes to come 🙂— RAE (@Valkyrae) May 10, 2022 YouTube’s gifted memberships aren’t anything new — the platform teased this forthcoming change back in February, after it announced that raids would also be coming to its site. What are gifted memberships? Gifted memberships appear to work in a similar vein to gifted Twitch subscriptions. Users can purchase a membership to a certain YouTube streamer’s channel and ‘gift’ it to another user — making for a unique gift for a friend’s birthday, as well as marking yet another way to support one’s favorite content creators. If Rae’s announcement is any indication, YouTube users are in for a wild ride as the platform continues to pump out new features as it further breaks into the streaming sphere.

Valkyrae apologizes after deepfakes of her fans surface online YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has apologized on Twitter after learning that deepfakes of her fans began to surface online. Back in January, Twitch streamer Atrioc went viral after accidentally exposing that he visited a website that featured deepfake pictures of female streamers including QTCinderella, Pokimane, and more. Following the controversy, Twitch issued a series of updates to their guidelines to make showing the content a bannable offense, punishable with a permanent ban from the platform. Now, it appears that Valkyrae is facing troubles with the controversial content as deep fakes of her fans began to surface online. Valkyrae apologizes after learning of fan’s deepfakes On March 18, 2023, Valkyrae posted an apology to her fans on her Twitter account which quickly went viral. “I’m so sorry to my community members that have had deep fakes made of them just for supporting me,” She said. “You shouldn’t have had to experience that in any way. please protect each other, especially the minors! Report those accounts and just know it says more about them, not you. Stay safe.” Fans quickly replied to her post to share their thoughts on the situation as well. One user said: “what the f**k. 🙁 that is so shitty.” “The amount I’ve seen JUST TODAY is scary and all around gross, I can’t imagine how awful it must be for those members,” another fan replied. A third user commented: “That’s legitimately disturbing and disgusting. I’m so sorry people have no respect or control.” It’s unknown whether or not the YouTube star is doing anything else to help remove the content from the internet, but we’ll be sure to update you if she provides any more updates.

Valkyrae announces “very long” break from regular YouTube content ahead of OfflineTV trip – Dexerto
Valkyrae announces “very long” break from regular YouTube content ahead of OfflineTV trip YouTube: ValkyriePopular YouTuber Valkyrae has just announced she will be moving away from her usual content schedule for an unknown amount of time, citing Japan travel plans with OfflineTV as the main factor for this announcement. “I’m gonna be gone for a while,” were the opening words in Valkyrae’s recent YouTube stream. Rachell “Rae” Hotfstetter, better known as Valkyrae, is one of the most popular and most-watched female streamers on YouTube, though she’s about to be out of the spotlight for a while. In a clipped segment of her recent broadcast, she announced that she will be taking a break from her usual content schedule to travel. While she didn’t give much away about many of the travel plans, she did confirm that she will be joining the OfflineTV crew on their recently confirmed Japan trip. “I heard Scarra talked about it already so I can talk about it. It’s official. Got my tickets,” Rae told her fans tuned in live. OfflineTV, or OTV for short, is the popular content creation group made up of the likes of Pokimane, LilyPichu, Disguised Toast, and many more. Many of the members rose to popularity by playing League of Legends, however they all now have a hand in gaming content as well as vlog and variety content. While Valkyrae isn’t an official member of OTV, it is well known that she is friends with some of the members and is frequently engaging with them via stream or online. What is the OTV Japan Trip? More on the trip itself, OTV co-founder Scarra surprised the streaming community only days ago when they confirmed that OTV will be heading to Japan for a week next month. The group had previously visited Japan two years ago and vlogged their experiences across the country. Now, they’re set to do it again with Valkyrae in the mix. While Scarra’s reveal was an unofficial announcement, he did confirm that he was given permission to talk about the trip. However, he did admit that much of the details are still unknown but that further information on the trip will be announced soon. “OTV will be going to Japan next month,” they confirmed. “We’ll have a more official announcement with all the people going, but I can officially say, it’ll be one of the few things that we’re going to be doing.” https://youtu.be/FRBiIH6_KbM Scarra also went on to say that while in Japan, those going will still be making videos and streaming. And while Scarra did not confirm which of the OTV members will be making the trip to Japan, we now know one non-OTV member who will be there in Valkyrae. Why Valkyrae will be gone for so long While this may be the beginning of Valkyrae’s travel plans, they are definitely not the end. In her announcement, she then went on to say that she’s got much more planned beyond the initial Japan trip. “There’s more. Right after Japan, I can’t really say where exactly, but I’m going somewhere else right after. I will announce where and with who, when I am able to, but it was kinda confirmed today so literally right when the Japan trip is over I am going to this other location.” Valkyrae also added that after these plans she will be heading to New York for further travel. A timeframe of these trips was not specified but given the extent of them, it’s likely that Valkyrae will be taking a big break from her usual content on YouTube.

Valkyrae and Chrissy from Stranger Things become “best friends” streaming together – Dexerto
Valkyrae and Chrissy from Stranger Things become “best friends” streaming together YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Grace Van Dien, known for her role as Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things, instantly became best friends while streaming Valorant together on YouTube and Twitch, with the pair saying their energy matched perfectly. Van Dien, who streams on Twitch under the name ‘bluefille‘, got lots of attention on the platform in June when fans found her livestreaming Valorant. Her streams started off in March, and were fairly low-key, only attracting around 50-100 viewers, but when Stranger Things Season 4 released on Netflix in May, her stream grew in popularity too. Streaming Valorant most days, Grace started to pull in over 1,000 viewers, and after streaming with Valkyrae, Disguised Toast, LilyPichu, and Tarik, her stream eclipsed 20,000 viewers. Valkyrae and ‘Chrissy’ become best friends It was clear to everyone immediately that Valkyrae and Grace had hit it off, with their giddy energy matching. Although, Valkyrae made a slight faux pas by continuing to call her ‘Chrissy’ rather than Grace – mixing up her real name and her character’s name. After streaming together, Valkyrae was busy explaining how much she loved ‘Chrissy’, when Grace said the exact same about her. “I love her. Her energy is the fuel to my soul. Oh my god she’s so cute,” Valkyrae gushed, before Grace (unaware Valkyrae was watching) commented “I want to be her best friend.” “She has energy that matches mine and it is very hard to find that. I don’t care, she’s my new best friend.” The pair got on so well in fact, that Disguised Toast joked that playing with them both was like playing with “two Valkyraes.” We have no doubt that this duo will be playing together again in the very near future, potentially starting with Among Us, as they are both fans of the party game. In the meantime, Grace, aka bluefille, is become a streaming star in her own right – crossing over 100,000 followers on Twitch, although she isn’t partnered yet.

Valkyrae and Hasan mock claim that playing games is a “form of depression” – Dexerto
Valkyrae and Hasan mock claim that playing games is a “form of depression” YouTube: Valkyrae2Streaming stars Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker hit back after reading a viral tweet claiming that playing video games for long periods of time is a “form of depression.” There have been numerous concerns over the years about the effect that gaming can have on a player’s mental wellbeing. While the WHO considers ‘gaming disorder’ to be a mental illness, others argue that gaming can provide escapism for a player. As two of YouTube and Twitch’s most popular streamers, Valkyrae and Hasan have enjoyed many hours chatting to their fans and friends over a game title. So, understandably, the pair disagreed with a “lifetime gamer” who argued that playing video games relentlessly is a “form of depression.” Valkyrae argues that gaming can be an “escape” Valkyrae joined Hasan’s Twitch livestream as the duo spent a good deal of time catching up and watching YouTube videos together. However, they then came across a tweet as the mood turned more serious. The Twitter user claimed: “As an adult, playing video games for long periods of time is a form of depression […] Think about the 100 greatest moments of your life. Do any of those moments include video games? Probably not.” However, Valkyrae disagreed saying “people definitely use video games as an escape.” Hasan similarly responded by listing some of the “greatest moments” he’s experience which involve a gaming title. Although, the “lifetime gamer” stressed that they weren’t targeting those who’d “turned gaming into a career” such as streamers. Rather, it was more directed for those who “consistently devote” a good deal of time to playing games. “I’ve had a lot of happy moments with video games,” Valkyrae added. “Like, playing Super Nintendo. Playing Lion King and my sister’s just watching me with the little cheat book. My Mom is like cooking dinner and my Dad just got home […] those are good memories.” The debate over the influence of video games is still a hot topic of discussion across the internet. However, Hasan and Valkyrae made it very clear just how much happiness gaming has brought them.

Valkyrae admits she was wrong to call Fuslie “dramatic” after fire alarm mix-up – Dexerto
Valkyrae admits she was wrong to call Fuslie “dramatic” after fire alarm mix-up Twitch: Fuslie / YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter admitted she was wrong to call Leslie Ann ‘Fuslie’ Fu “dramatic” for how she reacted to a gas leak in their house, claiming she didn’t know how serious it was. On April 27, Rae revealed Fuslie called 911 in the middle of the night because the fire alarm went off in their Los Angeles home. However, it wasn’t because of a fire. Instead, it was because there was a dangerous gas leak. At the time, Rae thought the gas was carbon dioxide rather than carbon monoxide, which isn’t as serious. So, when she saw Fuslie freaking out about it, she claimed she was “being dramatic.” Turns out, though, Rae was in the wrong. First, Rae recounted the events and owned up to the mistake during her latest stream. “For those of you who were not there, I told a story. In the story, I said carbon dioxide, but it was actually carbon monoxide. So many of you were pissed at me!” “People were pissed at me for the way I was very careless. I didn’t know how serious it was. I just want to make it clear that I did do my research, and I want to say thank you to the people who were kind in educating it.” Then, she talked about her comment. “People were mad because I talked about Fuslie being dramatic. Trust me. She wasn’t bothered that I said that. So, you don’t need to be bothered for her. She didn’t take it the way some of you took it.” In the end, though, she reiterated how wrong she was. “I genuinely didn’t know how serious it was to have a carbon monoxide leak. But I learned, okay! I learned that carbon monoxide leaks are actually deadly.” Rae also admitted she is “definitely kind of an airhead sometimes,” but urged fans to be nicer when educating her and correcting her in situations like this, instead of bombarding with scathing comments.

Valkyrae admits she’s been “miserable” during break from streaming – Dexerto
Valkyrae admits she’s been “miserable” during break from streaming Twitter: Valkyrae100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has admitted to Fuslie and friends that she’s been “miserable” during her break from streaming. On January 14, the YouTube Gaming star announced her break from streaming due to the fact that a “platform announcement” video was yet to be finished. Even though Valkyrae is on a break from streaming on her own channel, the creator has participated in several streams with her friends. While streaming with Fuslie and other friends, Hofstetter revealed that she hasn’t quite been herself, and can’t wait to go live again. Valkyrae “miserable” during extended break from stream While playing Valorant with Ramee, Fuslie, and Sykkuno, Valkyrae was asked how her time off has been going. Rae responded: “I am so miserable. I wanna stream so bad. Do you know how people want what they can’t have? I want to stream so bad but I just have to wait… I have one more week.” Sykkuno asked the YouTube streamer what they would play after her return, and Valkyrae mentioned that she’s been having fun with Grand Theft Auto away from the camera. While the group of friends mentioned the idea of playing GTA offline, Rae worried that her fans wouldn’t want to miss out on a story if something happened while playing on the NoPixel GTARP server. While Valkyrae hasn’t hinted at what platform she’s announcing, just last October Rae urged Twitch streamers to move to YouTube following a massive data leak, making the move from YouTube seem unlikely. However, if the creator does end up returning back to Twitch, they’re going to have to fix their search options.

Valkyrae admits Ludwig leaked DMs slip up caused RFLCT collapse – Dexerto
Valkyrae admits Ludwig leaked DMs slip up caused RFLCT collapse YouTube: Valkyrae, LudwigRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has admitted that Atrioc leaking Ludwig’s DM’s on stream is what caused the collapse of her skincare line, RFLCT. On October 19, Valkyrae revealed her new skincare line that was aimed at protecting content creators, PC gamers, and other heavy screen users from blue-light emission damaging their skin. However, the creator was immediately met with backlash after the RFLCT website lacked sufficient evidence that the product worked. Hofstetter went on to talk about the product on stream, mentioning that she no longer wanted to be a part of it because the company was supposed to make their research public, but did not. On October 30, just days after launch, the RFLCT brand was effectively terminated with products being pulled from over 400 stores. In a December 5 stream with Ludwig, Rae explained what caused the company to collapse — and it involves a private conversation she had with the streamer. Valkyrae talks about RFLCT to Ludwig While in a call with the 100 Thieves co-owner on stream, Ludwig asked if there was an update to the situation. Valkyrae explained: “What part? They can still sue me at any time so I have to be careful. I will say that because of that leak, that’s why they pulled out of 400 stores. They were going to proceed regardless, but because of that leak, everything was removed. I think it was a blessing in disguise, honestly.” Ludwig instantly showed his surprise at the news and explained that he’s happy everything worked out in her favor, even if it was on accident. The topic starts at 29:21 in the video Two days before RFLCT shut down, Atrioc was using Ludwig’s computer on stream when he accidentally leaked private Discord messages between Lud and Rae. In the messages, Rae explained that she was actively trying to get out of her contract with the company. Since the backlash surrounding the skincare line started to die down, Valkyrae has explained that she feels “back on track,” and doesn’t want the situation to hinder her anymore.

Valkyrae accuses Jason Momoa of “mistreating” Minecraft movie crew – Dexerto
Valkyrae accuses Jason Momoa of “mistreating” Minecraft movie crew Twitch / Jasontheween / Warner Bros.Valkyrae has revealed that Jason Momoa was her worst celebrity experience after she claimed he mistreated crew members while filming on the set of A Minecraft Movie. On September 13, the YouTube star, who has over four million subscribers on the platform, was taking part in a live Hot Ones-style interview hosted by fellow steamer JasonTheWeen on Twitch. When asked about her worst celebrity or streamer experience, she was told she didn’t have to state the person’s name. But replied, “I will state the name,” and said it was Jason Momoa. “I just saw him mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing. It was after a very intense scene, and it was a very emotional scene, so maybe he was still in character.” Valkyrae ended: “He was just really mad at them that they weren’t doing something right, like setting up the shot and stuff, and he was just angry, like really mad and yelling. I was like, this is not a good work environment, I would not be happy working under those conditions.” She clarified that the alleged incident occurred while she was on set to appear as a cameo in the upcoming Minecraft movie. No information was provided about the specifics of her appearance or the supposed incident involving the Aquaman and Game of Thrones actor. Jason Momoa plays Garrett ‘The Garbage Man’ Garrison, one of the main characters, who is part of the group called the misfits who are transported through a portal into the famous blocky world. The movie adaptation of Minecraft also features a star-studded cast including Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge. However, ever since the movie was announced it has been hit with waves of backlash. This has included many fans being left divided over Jack Black saying he will be singing in the adaptation, and after the trailer was launched, it was slammed by many fans for being “terrible.” A Minecraft Movie is scheduled for release in theaters on April 5, 2025.

Valkyrae addresses OfflineTV rumors as 100 Thieves star ‘moves’ into house – Dexerto
Valkyrae addresses OfflineTV rumors as 100 Thieves star ‘moves’ into house YouTube: ValkyraeRachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has shut down rumors that she’s joining OfflineTV after spending more than a week in their house — saying just because she’s taking time out with her friends doesn’t mean she’s leaving 100 Thieves any time soon. Valkyrae has been friends with members of the OfflineTV crew for a long time now. As a result, she’s been linked to a move to the organization several times in the past, including as recently as February 2021. The rumors were dead and buried after she became a co-owner of 100 Thieves, or so it seemed. They reignited again in December 2021 after she appeared to have ‘moved’ into the OfflineTV house. However, she said it isn’t true and explained why she’s there. “I have been at the OfflineTV house since I did the 48-hour stream,” she said. The stream she’s referring to kicked off on December 15 and ended on December 17, which means she’s been living there for more than a week. “I have just been living here because it’s been fun. The lease here is ending, and so people are coming and going. Lily moved out already. Toast and Yvonne will be moving out soon, and so there’s just been a lot of room and space. “Just because I have a lot of friends from different organizations, it doesn’t mean that I’m joining different organizations. I’m not. I have a lot of friends in OTV & Friends. But I am a co-owner of 100 Thieves.” She explained that it’s “okay” for content creators to be friends with each other, regardless of which organizations they’re affiliated with. “There is no written rule anywhere where you can’t be friends with people from different organizations,” she laughed. Rae also confessed that the temporary move has been a detox of sorts, especially after moving on from the RFLCT drama. “I have been chilling. I’ve kind of been de-stressing. I’ve been going through some stuff, and I’ve been recovering, and I have been happy, honestly! I feel like I’m going through a transitional phase in my life.

Vacant airport becomes IRL Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater in wild YouTube video – Dexerto
Vacant airport becomes IRL Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater in wild YouTube video Red Bull/YouTubeSkateboarders took over the vacant MSY airport in New Orleans to recreate Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and bring the iconic video game to life. On May 17, Red Bull released a new video where skateboard stars Jake Wooten, Kareem Campbell, Brighton Zuener and Vincent Matheron, Alex Sorgente and others tore up the airport. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is filled with all sorts of iconic levels and gameplay elements, including clearing gaps and collecting secret tapes – both of which are represented in the footage. If that’s not crazy enough, the tricks performed are all edited to appear just like they do in the video game with points and other attributes presented on screen. Just like with the game, however, when tricks are botched, you lose out on your points – and that’s exactly what happened in the video, too. There are some pretty ridiculous tricks being performed, too. In one, Alex Wooden and company were able to clear a luggage cart while doing a 360 BS ollie in the process. Not bad! The video game-inspired skateboarding playground impressed Kareem Campbell quite a bit. “Everything I’ve seen here has blown my mind,” he said. “From the course, to the tarmac, to the Red Bull plane and the jam session… it’s unreal. It’s something I don’t think anyone can recreate, except in a video game.” For anyone who grew up playing the fan-favorite skateboarding games or enjoyed the remakes, this is a must-watch.

Users warn of App Store tax after Twitch Turbo gets mobile availability – Dexerto
Users warn of App Store tax after Twitch Turbo gets mobile availability TwitchUsers on social media are warning others about inflated prices after Twitch Turbo subscriptions became available through the mobile app. When you make a purchase on mobile through an app like Twitch, Kick, or Twitter/X, odds are you’re paying a slightly higher price than if you’d buy the same thing through the browser. Both Google and Apple take a 30% cut of each purchase for things like subscriptions, and companies often make up for that loss by charging the end user more. Twitch announced on January 19, 2024, that users can now subscribe to Twitch Turbo through the app, but users are warning others about the inflated price that comes with the feature. Twitch users warn of mobile Turbo sub upcharge In a post on its Twitter account, Twitch shared that it’s now “easier than ever” to pick up Twitch Turbo alongside a screenshot showing the cost of $15.99 a month. The inflated price is an increase of $4, and users were quick to warn others about it in the replies. “Do not buy twitch turbo on mobile, it is more expensive because of the payment processing taking a cut,” one user replied. Twitch streamer Lowco shared the warning as well. She said: “Never buy anything through the mobile app! Turbo, subs, and bits are more expensive because of app store fees. Twitch Turbo is $11.99/month through the desktop/web.” “For everyone wondering why its $16 and not the normal $12. Its because if you buy subscriptions on Mobile, Google/Apple takes a 30% cut of it. So to make it even, the price is 30% higher, which brings it to $16,” a third user shared Twitch was quick to address the price increase in a reply to their original tweet as well, saying that there are costs associated with selling Turbo subs in-app. “Hey Folks! We haven’t increased our Turbo pricing, but pricing on mobile apps is higher as there are costs associated with selling Turbo subscriptions within mobile apps. We want to offer our community the option to subscribe in our apps, while preserving the same payout to streamers when you subscribe. In order to do that, the price has to reflect these cost,” they said. “You are still able to purchase Turbo on Web for the usual price.” Hey Folks! We haven’t increased our Turbo pricing, but pricing on mobile apps is higher as there are costs associated with selling Turbo subscriptions within mobile apps. — Twitch Support (@TwitchSupport) January 19, 2024 We want to offer our community the option to subscribe in our apps, while preserving the same payout to… There’s no doubt that having the ability to buy Twitch Turbo through the app will come in handy for some users, but it definitely comes with a sizable cost.

UT bans TikTok: Why University of Texas has banned video app – Dexerto
UT bans TikTok: Why University of Texas has banned video app WikiMedia Commons/TikTokStudents at The University of Texas at Austin have been banned from using TikTok while on the college’s network as more institutions have been clamping down on the app. Over the last year or two, TikTok has cemented itself as a key part of most social media users’ daily routine, as it has become the new hub of viral videos. However, there has been plenty of controversy around its security, especially in the United States. Plenty of elected officials have flagged it as a security threat because of its Chinese owners, ByteDance, and there was even a threat that it could be banned nationwide when Donald Trump was President. That ban wasn’t implemented, but a number of States have taken it upon themselves in the last few months to shut down its use on government devices. Now, The University of Texas at Austin is following suit. Why is TikTok banned at the University of Texas? That’s right, students at The University of Texas at Austin are now prohibited from using TikTok when connected to the college’s WiFi networks. “Today, the university blocked TikTok access on our networks,” the university said in a campus-wide email. “You are no longer able to access TikTok on any device if you are connected to the university via its wired or WIFI networks.” Texas is one of the states that has ordered government officials to not use the social media platform on any devices that accesses their networks or while in a government building. This directive has been put in place to “eliminate the cybersecurity risk posed by TikTok” around “potentially sensitive information” that users may have. As noted, a number of states across the nation have already started clamping down on the use of TikTok, but hasn’t been made a national thing yet. It remains to be seen if other states that haven’t already put a similar directive in place, and naturally other universities, will follow suit.

Users unite as “keyboard Karen” goes viral with scathing airline review – Dexerto
Users unite as “keyboard Karen” goes viral with scathing airline review goinggonemadd/TikTokA “keyboard Karen” has gone viral on TikTok after a user filmed a man filling out a feedback survey in the middle of a flight – and the internet is loving his reply. Surveys, although useful for the organizers, can be a pain to fill out. Especially when they’re forced upon you. This is what happened to a man onboard a plane, who was seen expressing his frustration with the survey by submitting the survey. Wearing big headphones and loungewear, you could see he was in flight mode. Using the screen on the seat in front of him, he was seen filling out the onboard survey. This was something TikToker goinggonemadd found interesting and decided to use her phone to film and zoom in on what he was thinking about the flight. “You served vegetables that were frozen solid. You also interrupted my movie twice to ask me to take a survey,” the man was seen writing. Clearly other TikTok users found it just as hilarious as it gained 2.8 million views with 304.8 thousand likes. The person who uploaded the video captioned it: “Surveying *handshake emoji* Roasting #guesstheairline.” Viewers quickly took to the comment section as they, on the rare occasion, actually agreed with a Karen. One person commented: “He said, ‘you keep asking for feedback so here ya go!!’” Another said: “scathing airline survey MID FLIGHT is a mood.” “WE LOVE A KEYBOARD KAREN!!! That is my mood,” a third person wrote. A fourth TikToker commented: “He’s so real for that.” This is not the only viral video t come from a flight recently. Back in July, a woman went viral after she was filmed causing a stir on a flight and claiming that a man on the plane “wasn’t real.”

Use of the word “simp” on Twitch reportedly rose 97% after ban – Dexerto
Use of the word “simp” on Twitch reportedly rose 97% after ban TwitchTwitch users were quick to rebel against Twitch after it originally banned the words “simp,” “incel” and “virgin” on December 15 – and a new report shows just how much its decision backfired. The decision to ban these terms came to light on December 16, when the platform issued a surprise policy update. During a townhall stream, Twitch’s COO Sara Clemens notoriously noted that “Using terms like simp, incel, or virgin as an insult to negatively refer to another person’s sexual activity is not allowed under this new policy.” Following this, many streamers voiced their disapproval on social media, including big names such as 100 Thieves’ Neekolul, NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman. I fact, he backlash was so great that Twitch had to issue a statement clarifying its stance. “We do not have a blanket ban on the use of words like ‘simp’ in casual banter,” they explained in a tweet. “But will take action when words like this (amongst others) are used to harass and harm community members.” The term “simp” popularly refers to men who will go to great lengths to impress a woman with the (usually false and self-imposed) hope that he will receive her affections, in return. It’s often applied to viewers, normally males, who are abnormally generous with gifting money to female streamers. We do not have a blanket ban on the use of words like “simp” in casual banter, but will take action when words like this (amongst others) are used to harass and harm community members. Check out our hateful conduct and harassment policy to learn more: https://t.co/rT9QAC6zcZ — Twitch (@Twitch) December 18, 2020 Now, according to a report by Stream Hatchet, chats mentioning the word ‘simp’ nearly doubled after Twitch’s “ban” on the word came to light. In the fifteen days before the ban, there was an average of 71K uses of the word in Twitch chats. Following the ban, however, the number rose to 140K. “The banning didn’t seem to stop Twitch users from testing the limits of the new ToS additions. Adversely, the banning led to an increase of ‘simp’ mentions in chat to almost double the previous 15 day average,” the report details. Basically, viewers on Twitch were willing to put their own accounts in danger in defense of free speech and in protest of the platform’s policies. Stream Hatchet did not include statistics for the words “incel” and “virgin,” but those terms were mocked by many on social media following news of the ban originally.

While he’s unlikely to be playing in any major European league anytime soon, he has been given a chance by the Central Coast Mariners down in Australia. US women’s chess champ accuses GM Alejandro Ramirez of sexually assaulting her Instagram: JenShahade/YouTube: GibChessUS woman’s chess champion Jennifer Shahade is accusing Grandmaster Alejandro Ramirez of sexually assaulting her and others in a message posted to her Twitter page. Over the last few decades, Jennifer Shahade has smashed the woman’s chess circuit, taking home two Women’s World Championships – one in 2002, and her second in 2004. On February 15, Shahade took to her Twitter profile with a message accusing fellow Grandmaster Alejandro Ramirez of sexually assaulting her as a minor, and says others have come forward, as well. Jennifer Shahade accuses Alejandro Ramirez of sexual assault Since posting her message, it has been viewed over 250,000 times and is continuing to grow. “Currently, there are multiple investigations underway on Alejandro Ramirez and sexual misconduct, including a series of alleged incidents involving a minor,” she explained. “I was assaulted by him twice, nine and ten years ago. “I’d moved on until the past couple of years, when multiple women, independent of each other and with no knowledge of my own experience, approached me with their own stories of the alleged abuse.” She went on to mention that she allegedly saw texts from Alejandro admitting to the abuse of a minor while he was coaching her. Since learning this, she has stepped back from commentary at chess events and chose to speak out to make it crystal clear that the “safety of women, girls, children is of the highest priority.” Alejandro first entered the scene in the late 1990s, having gained official Grandmaster rank at the age of 15 — becoming the first Central American to do so. He has yet to speak out since Jennifer made these allegations public, but we’ll be sure to update you if he does. In the meantime, head over to our entertainment section for more news.

US Surgeon General demands social media warnings to fight “mental health crisis” – Dexerto
US Surgeon General demands social media warnings to fight “mental health crisis” Instagram: drvivekmurthyUS Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has called for warning labels on social media to fight the “mental health crisis” in a similar fashion to the warning on tobacco products. Murthy published an opinion piece on the topic in the New York Times on June 17, 2024, and detailed his reasons behind wanting the warning. Largely based around mental health concerns with adolescents, the US Surgeon General says social media has a massive impact on nearly all of its users. Murthy said: “Adolescents who spend more than three hours a day on social media face double the risk of anxiety and depression symptoms, and the average daily use in this age group, as of the summer of 2023, was 4.8 hours. “Additionally, nearly half of adolescents say social media makes them feel worse about their bodies.” Tobacco products feature several different warnings from the surgeon general, including “Quitting Smoking Now Greatly Reduces Serious Risks to Your Health” and “Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, and May Complicate Pregnancy.” Murthy did a few tests to see how effective the tobacco labels are, and found that the surgeon general’s warnings can “increase awareness and change behavior.” He wrote: “When asked if a warning from the surgeon general would prompt them to limit or monitor their children’s social media use, 76 percent of people in one recent survey of Latino parents said yes.” Vivek is calling on the US Congress to authorize warnings on social media, as he’ll need their approval before anything can be added. The US Surgeon General isn’t the only member of the government looking to make social media better for children. Back in March, Florida Governor Ron Desantis signed a bill banning kids under 14-years-old from accessing social media in the state, and will force platforms to delete their accounts if they exist.

US Veteran Streams Battlefield 1 Using a Controller with Only One Arm and His Foot – Dexerto
US Veteran Streams Battlefield 1 Using a Controller with Only One Arm and His Foot A US Marine Corps veteran and amputee has started streaming his Battlefield 1 gameplay on Twitch – which he plays with a controller using his only arm and his foot. The streamer, who goes by ToeYouUp, has no left arm due to amputation but that hasn’t stopped him picking up the controller and grinding out some first person shooter action. He explains on his channel that he lost the arm after a motorcycle accident at age 24, but has “adapted and overcome the challenges of playing, by using his foot, in place of his hand.” He recently started streaming his gameplay and includes a camera showing his entire body to demonstrate the very unorthodox playing position, all while using a standard PS4 controller. His channel on Twitch has just over 500 followers at the time of writing, which received a boost when a number of other channels hosted him after being impressed with his skill – despite his disadvantage. After the host, a clip of him playing was posted to Reddit, gaining him even more attention. He was thankful for the added exposure as he attempts to grow his stream following, with a special mention to another Battlefield streamer, StevenSwendsen, for sending viewers his way. The amount of love and support shown to me this evening was just amazing! Thank you @WyldGade @StevenSwendsen and the NERD Army, as well as so many others for coming out to support my channel this evening! I’m so grateful! Thank you so much! — ToeYouUp (@ToeYouUp1) July 11, 2018 While ToeYouUp sticks with using a standard PS4 controller, there are numerous developments from the likes of the recently unveiled Xbox ‘Adaptive Controller’, designed specifically for those with physical impairments. While Sony and PlayStation are yet to announce an official equivalent, there are modified PlayStation controllers for single hand use, such as Ben Hecks ‘Accessibility Controller’. For now though, it looks like TouYouUp has it pretty well covered with his hand and foot technique and will have undoubtedly gains some new fans since his clip has went somewhat viral.

US Senator wants Twitch streamers to face jail time for DMCA strikes – Dexerto
US Senator wants Twitch streamers to face jail time for DMCA strikes Thom Tillis Campaign Press Pool / TwitchTwitch streamers may face jail time when they’re hit with multiple DMCA strikes on the Amazon-owned streaming platform, if a proposal from Senator Thom Tillis is successfully squeezed into congress’ eleventh-hour omnibus bill. Congress often finds itself in situations where they must hustle through massive ‘omnibus bills’ in an effort to prevent a government shutdown. Senators use these “must-pass bills” to slip their controversial deals in, knowing they’ll have to be greenlit. This time around, Senator Tillis is using the chance to take aim at copyrighted material being broadcast on Twitch, and shared in YouTube and Instagram videos. The North Carolina representative believes law enforcement should be given “effective tools” to combat “unlawful copyright use.” Tillis’ felony streaming proposal, available to read online, recommends any streamer or creator who shares a song, album, or unauthorized video clip in a commercial setting should face a felony offense, with possible prison sentence. The measure’s main aims are similar to the SOPA/PIPA bills which were first tabled in 2012, as well as the controversial CASE Act, which was passed in Oct. 2019. Controversial bill already facing opposition Since Tillis unveiled the proposal, many in the technology industry have come out against it. According to Protocol, as many as 18 organizations — including tech trade groups and advocacy organizations — have written to Congress begging them to decline the omnibus provision. The letter, helmed by the Internet Association, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the American Library Association, detailed “major concerns” around the bill having a “negative impact on creators, internet users,” and more. Katharine Trendacosta, associate director of policy and activism with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, also warned the bill would be a “chill on expression” if it was passed. This could “ruin the lives of regular people… [and] the chance of a felony would impact both expression and innovation,” she continued. “People who are engage in things we do online: sharing memes, videos, and downloading images. We already see it’s hard enough in just civil copyright and the DMCA for people to feel comfortable asserting their rights.” What does this mean for Twitch streamers? Well, for now, nothing should change. Twitch streamers will still have to avoid DMCA strikes, but it’s still going to be a ‘slap on the wrist,’ rather than a jail cell. Anyone sharing content on Twitch, YouTube, or Instagram should keep one eye on the bill, however. The situation is expected to be resolved soon, and if it falls against content creators it could change the DMCA saga all over again. Judgement day for Tillis’ proposal — which includes the CASE Act and Trademark Modernization Act — is expected to be Dec. 11; congress has confirmed the bill must be passed before government’s 2020 shutdown on that date. Amazon, which owns Twitch, has yet to publicly comment on the proposal.

Who is Megan Lucky? US Open beer girl explains why she was absent from 2023 tourney 27-year-old Megan Lucky, who went viral for chugging beer at the 2021 & 2022 US Open tennis tournaments, said in an Instagram post that she wasn’t sure why she was seemingly snubbed in 2023. However, she did claim that she might take her ‘Beer Girl’ persona to another sporting event very soon as a result of being apparently denied the chance to chug for the audience. “I obviously went to the US Open this past weekend, and for whatever reason, whoever was in charge, did not want me on the jumbotron this year,” she explained. “I don’t know their reasons, they didn’t share them with me, but I still had a lot of fun and I’ve made my peace with it. I know the universe has a plan for me, and like I said last time, ‘Beer Girl’ is part of me, and maybe I’ll take her to another sport that wants some of her fun-loving energy soon.” Lucky assured her fans that this is “not the end” of her ‘Beer Girl’ days and that she’ll be making another appearance very “soon.” Lucky is more than just ‘Beer Girl,’ though. US Senator agrees with Asmongold on Pay-to-Win games and wants them to stop – Dexerto
US Senator agrees with Asmongold on Pay-to-Win games and wants them to stop On an episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz, the US Senator responded to a question about Asmongold and his stance on loot boxes and Pay-to-Win games. Twitch superstar Asmongold has vehemently stood against loot boxes and often uses his platform as a soapbox to broadcast his views on “predatory” microtransactions. Asmongold feel’s loot boxes – especially those that offer competitive advantages – are harmful to children. He relates them to gambling and has stated on numerous occasions that the federal government should regulate their availability. During a stream on June 12, he announced that he had been in contact with Senator Ted Cruz’s office. “It doesn’t mean anything’s going to happen, but we’ll see,” the streamer stated. Ted Cruz offers a conversation with Asmongold And something did happen. On episode 130 of the Verdict with Ted Cruz podcast, co-host Michael Knowles asked the politician for his thoughts on regulating loot boxes. The question read, “The Twitch streamer Asmongold said he reached out to Senator Cruz’s office about regulating loot boxes in video games. Where does the Senator stand on loot boxes?” Cruz opened by extending an invitation to Asmongold stating he’s happy to discuss the issue with the streamer. He then turned to address the issue which he boiled down to “gambling and kids”. He claimed video games and social media are designed to be addictive, even adding, “I’m something of a gamer. In games, I don’t like it when you can buy in-game items and sort of make your character stronger or get advantages.” Cruz did confess that he sometimes makes in-game purchases because of the convenience. “I think it is a greater concern when you’re dealing with kids… who have the potential to spend a whole lot of money,” the Senator stated. “With some of the loot boxes, there’s a fair amount of randomness where you can get a lot of great stuff or some lousy stuff. I guess that’s the argument that it’s gambling.” He went on to explain that he doesn’t want to see kids harmed by microtransactions, but isn’t sure the federal government has a role in preventing players from spending money in such a way. Asmongold reacted to the episode during a stream on June 18, smiling from ear to ear for nearly the entire duration of the four-minute segment. “I didn’t believe this. I thought it was going to be some bulls**t,” Asmongold stated. “So he actually agrees with me 100%”.

Uruha Rushia breaks silence after sudden Hololive dismissal – Dexerto
Uruha Rushia breaks silence after sudden Hololive dismissal YouTube: Uruha RushiaFormer Hololive star Uruha Rushia has broken her silence following her dismissal from the VTuber group. Returning to her old account, Mikeneko Doro, she claimed her “heart is shattered”, and will eventually open up on the reasons why she was removed. Uruha Rushia was one of the biggest names in Hololive. However, the necromancer is no more, with Hololive terminating her contract on February 23 over claims of “leaking information…causing the company to suffer reputational damage”. With her YouTube account set to be deleted in March, and an archive of her streams over the last 2.5 years wiped from the internet, fans are concerned Rushia’s presence will be lost forever. However, the talent has returned under her old alias, Mikeneko Doro, to break her silence on her dismissal. She tweeted out an apology in anticipation of Hololive’s February 23 announcement, getting ahead of the news by 12 hours. “I’m really exhausted both physically and mentally, and I’m still confused,” she said on Twitter before the announcement was made. “My heart is shattered, but I wanted to tell everyone I’m sorry.” — みけねこ🥞 (@95rn16) February 22, 2022 On a TwitCasting stream on February 24 following the announcement, Rushia apologized further, and asked fans to stop spreading rumors about why she was dismissed. “I’ve got many things to say. I’m sorry, I’m really sorry,” she said, according to a translation. “I’d like it if you held back on talking badly towards me. Regarding the rumors in various places, I’ll be firm. If everyone can refrain from spreading those, I would appreciate that. “I’ve been discussing this a lot privately, so when I’m able to speak publicly, I’ll do so.” She spent the majority of the seven-minute video apologizing to fans, as well as speaking about her desire to see her community unite again once she returns to streaming. “There are some people that wanted to hear my side, so I wanted to do something about it. It was so scary. I was scared but I wanted to speak to all of you too. That was my intention.” “I’m sure you all have some mean thoughts, some kind ones. I’m looking at everyone’s comments,” she stated. “It was really so sudden. There are a lot of things that are angering me too. When I’m able to talk about it — when that time comes — I will.” A test stream on the Mikeneko Doro account on February 22, around 36 hours before her dismissal, has already broken 1 million views. Read More: What is Hololive? – Some of Hololive’s biggest names have also spoken out on Rushia’s dismissal. The majority of members have asked fans to respect their privacy by not asking them for information on stream. It is unclear when, or if, Uruha Rushia will return to VTubing under Mikeneko Doro. Her YouTube channel, which she reopened on February 22, currently sits at 310,000 subscribers — a far cry from the 1.6 million she had as Uruha Rushia, but up nearly 300,000 from the 25,000 it sat at prior to the announcement.

Uruha Rushia claims Hololive made “blatant mistake” in former idol’s dismissal – Dexerto
Uruha Rushia claims Hololive made “blatant mistake” in former idol’s dismissal YouTube: Uruha RushiaFormer Hololive star Uruha Rushia has revealed on Twitter that Cover Corp refused to issue a correction in regards to “false statements” made about her termination in February, claiming it led to “slander” online. In February 2022, Uruha Rushia was let go from mega VTuber agency Hololive after it was reported that she had been leaking confidential information. The community was divided on Rushia’s dismissal — defenders of the necromancer criticized the decision, while others pointed towards the ‘blatant’ breach of her contract as stated by Hololive. Many VTubers, including her fellow third generation gen-mates, showed support following her dismissal. While Rushia kept her cards close to her chest — except for a short statement after her dismissal on her Mikeneko account — she has now spoken out more publicly about it three months on. Rushia, now Mikeneko, claimed Hololive’s original statement around her dismissal was “false” and led to “slander” online from various parties. However, she stated there was no bad blood between the two. According to a translation, Rushia apologized to fans on June 24 for taking so long to address the situation properly. However, she has chosen to break her silence after Hololive refused to “revise their statement” about her firing. “I’ve been in discussion with the company I was previously affiliated with regarding the specifics of this statement and in what way it is to be released,” she said. The statement delves deep into the lead up and subsequent moments of her release. Rushia detailed how certain leaks and comments made by her former company were a form of misinformation that led to her being “subjected to much slander and defamation.” “There was a blatant mistake in the official statement released by the company, and I had asked them to release an official correction. Namely, they claimed that I ‘made false declarations to various related parties.’ “I sent an exchange between me and my manager on LINE to one person outside the company — this is true. I felt that I had to do so in order to stop certain conversations that were taking place at the time. “However, I did not leak any other information, and neither did I make any false declarations.” She also mentions her desire to have released a joint statement with them about this but was then left to make the statement alone after they “could not cooperate to such lengths.” In particular, Russia also highlighted how the claim that she said she wanted to “ruin” all other Gen 3 members was taken out of context and leaked to appear to be in reference to said members. While it was previously reported that the “I want to ruin them all” message was sent on February 11, 2022, Rushia insisted that this was actually taken from a message sent back in November 2021. “The timing and the way this message was leaked made it seem like I had sent it after the incident, but that is entirely untrue.” Rushia then expressed that not being able to “correct” this for such a long time has “weighed very heavily” on her and has also “led to many people getting hurt”. Rushia then debunked the claims that she has been harboring resentment and bitterness to the other members, stating that she still “greatly treasures” them and that she still watches their streams and has maintained her bond with them. Quickly after Rushia’s tweet was published, Cover then issued a statement of their own. The agency denied they made an errors in the initial press release and furthermore shut down the notion that they have acknowledged these alleged errors. “We would like to reiterate on our company’s position that there was no error in the past release, nor have we ever acknowledged error from the past release.” They did end the statement by asking fans and the community to “refrain from any form of slander to the related party in this matter.” The exact details of the situation and her release are still largely unknown — despite many rumors to the contrary. However given these recent statements from both parties it appears that the issue is still being worked through and addressed even months after the initial termination took place.

UPDATE: One PewDiePie fan hacked printers across the globe in an effort to boost his subscribers – Dexerto
UPDATE: One PewDiePie fan hacked printers across the globe in an effort to boost his subscribers RazerzoneYep, you read that right – one die-hard PewDiePie fan has hacked printers worldwide, asking users to subscribe to the Swede’s YouTube channel in light of his current duel with T-Series. While Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been the most subscribed channel on YouTube for years, he is now being contested by Bollywood label T-Series – and their battle is quickly coming to a head. To combat the Bollywood menace, one computer whiz used his hacking skills to infiltrate printers across the globe, running a script that forced them to print out an elongated spiel that urged users to subscribe to PewDiePie. “PewDiePie, the currently most subscribed to channel on YouTube, is at stake of losing his position as the number one position by an Indian company called T-Series that simply uploads videos of Bollywood trailers and campaigns,” the speech began. https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2018/11/30/18119576/pewdiepie-printer-hack-t-series-youtube The printouts ended with an ASCII illustration of Pewd’s famous ‘brofist’ logo, after providing a ‘to-do’ list of steps to help support the channel. In a hilarious finale, the hacker even noted their victims that their printers were connected to the internet, asking them to “please fix that.” PewDiePie has since tweeted out the Verge’s article on the subject, simply writing, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.” Desperate times calls for desperate measures.. https://t.co/ltWSh9RPOs — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) November 30, 2018 The ingenious hacker isn’t the only fan to have gone above and beyond the call of duty, either. YouTuber MrBeast bought out every billboard in his city to advertise PewDiePie’s channel, while YouTuber Justin Roberts bought a million dollar billboard in Times Square to help aid the cause. The hacker has since come forward with a statement regarding his plan, thanks to a series of publicized Twitter DMs with Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem. The hacker, going by the name of ‘TheHackerGiraffe,’ claimed that he essentially combined “two ideas into one” by spreading awareness of device vulnerability and promoting PewDiePie’s channel simultaneously. “Alert people to how serious this can be, and give PewDiePie some media coverage, as I’m a huge fan,” the hacker explained. “That’s all there is to it.” T-Series is now very close to beating PewDiePie, with the YouTube ‘king’ being less than 100,000 subscribers away from an ultimate defeat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GApglHuf0ro&t=477s

Unusually Famous: Why TikTok’s top tailor slaps customers’ butts – Dexerto
Unusually Famous: Why TikTok’s top tailor slaps customers’ butts DexertoThe most popular tailor on TikTok isn’t known for his well-fitting suits. Instead, Roshan Melwani is famous for smacking his clients’ butts; something they specifically visit his shop just to experience. Sam’s Tailor is one of Hong Kong’s most iconic bespoke tailors. First opened in 1957, the company has achieved international acclaim for clothing A-List celebrities, royalty, and other high-profile clients over the ensuing decades. In more recent times, the shop has garnered a reputation of a different kind thanks to Roshan Melwani, an up-and-coming TikTok star whose claim to fame is making the clients of Sam’s Tailor as uncomfortable as possible. We spoke with Melwani about his work at Sam’s Tailor, his penchant for pinching his clients’ bums, and why he isn’t afraid of getting canceled over his content. Click here to watch the full interview. Butt-smacking TikTok star makes Sam’s Tailor go viral Although Sam’s Tailor boasts quite an esteemed reputation of its own, Roshan Melwani’s TikTok videos have made the family business extra-famous on social media. Melwani is known for smacking his clients’ butts and teasing them with sexually-charged, non-politically correct language. From kissing, licking, and even groping his customers, Melwani’s outrageous videos have garnered millions of views. In one of Melwani’s most-viewed videos, he clothes a supposed member of Japan’s Yakuza, and doesn’t seem worried at all that he might get roughed up for calling him “short,” saying he likes to “open up boys” and even asking him: “You are over 18, right?” Comments underneath Melwani’s TikTok clips are almost always positive, but he says he’s not worried about being canceled for his content, which some feel toes the line between what is and isn’t socially acceptable. “If every channel shuts me down, I will still thrive, because I make a great product,” he told us.. “They’re brilliant f*cking suits. And you think I’m worried about being canceled? Bro, come after me. People have been trying to cancel me for 35 years, because I don’t think there’s anybody out there doing this kind of stuff.” “I think my videos are less risky now, because I’m very conscious of this social media community guidelines, and all this stuff,” he added. “But before, I think I was more out there. I was smacking away, abusing away, being funny — kissing, licking, sniffing, whatever. “I don’t think I could push the boundary any more. I wouldn’t pull my d*ck out. I think the fun is consensual.” From “sheer hard work” to TikTok fame: The story of Sam’s Tailor Melwani is the latest generation to take over at Sam’s Tailor, his family’s business. Although he’s been working at the shop since he was just a lad, he began advertising the company and its high-profile clientele online ever since social media came around — and while his family wasn’t pleased about it at first, they quickly came around once he went viral. “I was born famous, and I’ve managed to catch the times at every stage of my career,” he explained. “I’m an early adopter. I started posting on Facebook as soon as Facebook was available, and I copped a lot of abuse from my dad and uncle.” “He goes, ‘What are you doing putting customers on the Sam’s Taylor Facebook? These guys are yelling at me. We’re gonna be hacked.’ The coin has flipped so much that every day my dad is grabbing me. ‘Do a photo with them! Take a video with them!’” Sigourney Weaver, Celine Dion, and President George Bush Sr. are just a few of the major clients who have been served by Sam’s Tailor — and his rise to TikTok fame is just another arc on the shop’s path to success, one that Melwani is also enjoying. “I’ve created a phenomenon. I’m not gonna compare myself to the Eiffel Tower. What else is there to do in Hong Kong? I’m like a beacon there. We don’t have an Empire State Building, we don’t have a Statue of Liberty. We don’t have Buckingham Palace. Suddenly you have me, the TikTok Tailor. What else is there to do?” Overall, Melwani calls the shop and his TikTok fame an “amazing blessing” that’s helping him spread his family’s success and his client’s happiness. Although he’s certainly unusually famous — and maybe a bit over-the-top for some — this advertising is clearly making a big name for an already famous business online.

Unsuspecting IRL streamer gets “pickpocketed” on camera Kandylul, Instagram / FreepikThanks to Twitch’s wide and varied user base, it stands as one of the net’s most popular livestreaming platforms, providing viewers with a near-constant flood of hilarious content and unexpected moments – one of which happend to an unsuspecting IRL streamer. Twitch streamer ‘Kandyland’ is known for her cooking streams and other broadcasts going about her daily life, with her IRL stream seeing a special guest on June 14 for Dreamhack Summer. However, this guest wasn’t there to merely chat it up; instead, he had other plans, which involved a hilarious “magic trick.” Popular IRL Twitch streamer ‘Kandyland’ was the brunt of a hilarious magic trick.https://www.instagram.com/p/BylT1_8I1HB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The guest asked Kandyland to close her eyes and think of a number between one and one hundred, asking her to count up to that number once she’d made her decision. As Kandyland counted, the guest continued to interrupt her, at the same time fiddling with the watch on her wrist. Finally, the guest rose from his seat on the floor, clearly holding the watch in his hand before continuing with the charade. “No, I don’t know what your intentions are!” Kandyland protested, later noticing that her guest was triumphantly holding up her wristwatch for the camera. “I’m uncomfortable – oh, you took my watch!” This wouldn’t be Kandyland’s first on-stream antic, by far; the streamer likewise gave viewers an accidental look at her cleavage in a subsequent broadcast, thanks to her reflective sunglasses. Kandyland had held up her camera to her sunglasses while walking around a pond, which showed a gratuitous view of her decolletage, with some viewers wondering if she even knew about the probable mishap. Kandyland continues to grow in popularity on Twitch, boasting over 173,000 subscribers as of June 17.

Unusually Famous: Why millions of people think I’m a toddler – Dexerto
Unusually Famous: Why millions of people think I’m a toddler DexertoTiny Tim has achieved viral fame for being able to sound exactly like a toddler. We spoke with the internet sensation about his rise to stardom and what’s next for his unusual talents. Everyone’s got something they’re good at, but some folks’ talents are a bit more unique than others. For instance, we interviewed a guy who got famous for being able to accurately recreate the sound of just about any vehicle’s engine. TikTok star ‘Tiny Tim’ also has a pretty interesting talent: he’s able to sound like a toddler, and often uses this special skill to prank call unsuspecting people by saying totally inappropriate things under the guise of being a little kid. We got to speak with Tiny Tim about his talent, how he discovered he could do this strange voice, and what he plans to do with his skillset in the future. Click here to watch the full interview. Going viral for sounding like a toddler ‘Tiny Tim’ says he found out that he was able to do his toddler voice when he was in grammar school. Tim says that one day, he came in late for class — and when his teacher reprimanded him over his tardiness, he hit her with a hilarious one-liner in his special voice: “You don’t have to shout at me!” The class erupted in laughter, and it’s been off to the races ever since… but not everyone was a fan of his comedy. In fact, Tim says that when he tried stand-up, he encountered a tough crowd. However, when he brought out his ‘toddler voice,’ the crowd seemed to love it. After one of his shows, Tim claimed a radio DJ came “barging in” to the green room asking, “Where have you been?” He invited Tim to his studio to do some recording, and over the ensuing two years, Tim became a prank call connoisseur over the airwaves. One of his prank calls in particular went viral after it was posted to social media. In the clip, Tim called in sick to an elementary school, pretending to be a student there. It “blew up” online — but it did get him into a bit of trouble with the police, who checked in on him after school staff contacted local authorities out of concern for the kiddo supposedly left at home. The dark side of online fame After skyrocketing to stardom, there were quite a few viewers who accused Tim of faking the prank calls and scripting the entire thing, or even using a filter to manipulate his voice. “Not one video have we done where it’s scripted,” he told us. “There’s no rehearsal. There’s no planning. There’s no script.” Although haters are a dime a dozen, Tim says that things took a seriously dark turn when his Facebook account got hacked early on into his internet fame. Tim claims that the hacker posted “horribly, smutty stuff” to his official page that “nearly wiped me out.” “I dipped into a deep depression,” he admitted. “Knowing that you’ve built something up, which everyone loved, to then having it taken away from you. We got the Facebook page back, and if it wasn’t for my missus… I dread to think that road would have taken me.” Tiny Tim isn’t in it for the money: “I want to make people happy” Luckily, Tim was able to recover from the hack, and now gets stopped for photos and videos with fans on a fairly regular basis. “I wouldn’t be where we are now if it wasn’t for people watching our videos,” he explained. Since then, Tim has come up with a colorful cast of characters that pop up in his videos, boasting millions of followers across multiple social platforms — but although he’s able to make a decent living from his antics, he isn’t in it for the money. “I just want to make people laugh,” he said. “I want to make people happy. I wanna spread as much laughter as I possibly can.” As for the future, Tim hopes he can score a Netflix series someday where he’s able to interview high-profile folks with one of his classic prank calls at the end of the conversation. “I would love a Netflix series,” he told us. “I would love a chat show where I’m on and talking to people in the public eye, and we talked about it, just an interview, and at the end we just go, ‘Have you got your phone on you?’ And we do a prank call at the end.” Although Tim’s seen the good and the bad sides of internet fame, he’s continuing to bring joy to people with his hilarious prank calls — and hopes that one day, he’ll be able to reach even more people with his own show.

University threatens to withhold student’s diploma over unpaid bill of 1 cent – Dexerto
University threatens to withhold student’s diploma over unpaid bill of 1 cent TIKTOK: lantieA student left viewers stunned on TikTok after revealing that her university threatened to withhold her diploma because she didn’t pay her balance of 1 cent. In a viral video, a college student explained that she received an email from Washington State University’s bursar’s office about an outstanding balance on her account. “Nonpayment of this balance may result in late payment fees as well as registration and/or diploma holds,” the email warned. The student, Lantie, expressed her horror in the video, saying: “That’s terrifying! I’m panicking! What charge is this? How much is this? I have like $90 in my bank account, how am I going to pay this?” However, the situation quickly turned out to be comical, as she revealed that the outstanding balance was just $0.01. “Do you not think you could just let this one go?” Lantie said sarcastically. “I mean, I guess I’ll enroll in a payment plan. I have a penny just laying around. I’ll walk in person and give it to them.” The email shocked some TikTok users in the comments, but many shared their own stories of being threatened over small amounts of money. “I had a $2 fee and was panicking because they said my classes would be dropped,” one user shared. “They charged me $25 because I had an ‘unpaid balance’ it was 0.28 cents,” another wrote. “And I thought the email I got for 30 cents was bad,” a third added. Others made light of the situation, with one user jokingly suggesting that Lantie should ask for a receipt after paying the balance, writing, “Make sure to ask them to mail you a receipt.” Another user said, “Just show up with a 100 dollar bill and watch them struggle to count the change.” Previously, a TikToker went viral after sharing a similar experience where his university kept emailing him about a $1.96 unpaid bill.

Unnämed’s journey to the top of indie VTubing: “It helped me restart my life” – Dexerto
Unnämed’s journey to the top of indie VTubing: “It helped me restart my life” UnnämedVTubing is a powerful medium for expression. Few embody that more than Unnämed. The Japanese singing sensation has shot to the top of indie VTubing with their powerful voice. But the grind all comes back to one belief: repaying a debt they feel they owe. If Unnämed’s original plan played out, they would have graduated from VTubing in December. They only ever planned to make it to their one-year anniversary. They didn’t think the support would last any longer. After all, their debut was one of the most hyped of 2022. It was easy from there to think it was just a once-off event. But the U-rei’s kept coming back. The fan base behind U-san even gave the Japanese singing sensation their shorthand nickname. And they felt like they had a debt to repay. “I tried my best to give back to my community, but I decided to stay a bit longer because I got a lot more support than I expected,” they told Dexerto. “I couldn’t even use up all of the budget and savings I got from my fan base, so I’ve decided to stay around for longer. “I enjoy making songs but to be really honest, I didn’t expect my fans to stick around for more than a year. I was scared for how long I could keep the hype.” The decision to even start VTubing was a big one. After never finding their footing through other creative pursuits, VTubing let them focus on the art they were making. That applied to fans too. “The reason I started VTubing was because I didn’t have to directly face other people,” they said. “I am able to control my feelings. I can focus on controlling my own things and not have to worry about people gazing on. “I came back with my music video, and after that, I noticed everyone wanted to see me have a Live2D. I used all of my donations to buy myself a Live2D model. Then the more donations I got, the more I felt I had to give back. “My current fan base is expecting me to create a ton of music and be confident. In this VTuber world, with my Live2D, I can be the most handsome guy in the world.” And now, one year on and counting, U-san can finally celebrate all their hard work as potentially the brightest chapter of their life starts: “VTubing brought me back to the performing industry. I was completely lost before. It helped me restart my life.” Letting go for a new beginning Unnämed didn’t just come from nothing. They have been chasing their creative dreams for years now, albeit under different monikers. They were once a labeled musician — they’ll be the first to downplay the meaning of that — while living in Thailand. However that music career never really took off, and in fact left U-san in a more precarious position compared to when they started. “I didn’t perform well there — not only me but my band members,” they bluntly said. “The producer started replacing the band members. He replaced my drums and my bassist. Then I noticed my guitarist was not happy with that group so they left. “Later I knew I was going to be replaced by the producer because of a billboard that said ‘new upcoming rock band, major debut.’ It was the band that replaced us. I wasn’t there. The producer never told me that I was replaced to my face though. “I had a bad depression and I couldn’t control myself. I was scared to perform in front of people because I felt like I didn’t deserve them. What if I was going to be replaced again? I couldn’t sing in front of people anymore. When I am on stage, holding a microphone, my hands shake. When I’d leave the stage, I’d immediately throw up.” They found some comfort on TikTok, at least for a little bit. They knew this wasn’t what they wanted to do forever, but finding some stardom and validation on the platform at least helped them regain their footing creatively. Personally though, the losses kept rolling in. They grappled with personal issues while doing the short-form videos. Those watching would discredit their gender identity. Unnämed, on the other side, was just a pretty face meant to dance along to silly songs. There wasn’t any way to truly express themselves. “I was doing something I wasn’t happy with,” they bluntly admitted. “It was all the normie people, dancing in front of a camera, doing trendy stuff or some stupid things. I wasn’t doing any music content. “But as I am growing my fan base there, I know what they want of me. When I tried to make music, they weren’t happy with that. When I did anime content, or a kawaii voice, a moe voice, they loved it.” There was also the personal danger. U-san recounted the numerous times they were stalked, had their personal belongings stolen. Some even targeted close friends, doxxing them alongside the star. “When I tried to talk to other people about my situation they said ‘well it means you are famous’ and not listening to my story seriously. Only my manager at the time took it seriously. “I’m happy I don’t have to show my face and no one knows where I live in Japan — they only know I live in Tokyo. When I was living in Thailand, when I went to the police station for stalking, they didn’t really care for the foreigners. I was doomed at the time. “I got tired of my old fanbase. I appreciated them a lot, and still do even now, but they scared me.” However as time goes on, they’ve become more content with the arduous journey. While the scars remain, it’s worth it for the end result. People respect them for their work, and seeing the passion from fans inspires them to continue putting their best foot forward. “I am honest with who I want to be compared to when I was a Tiktoker. I tried to be cute, stupid, and kind of ‘waifu.’ “Even though I made ‘utattemita’ [cover songs] and I drew illustrations, did the mixing and voice recording — I did everything by myself — I always got a ton of comments saying ‘this music video could have been better if you were recording your face just like your Tiktok.’ “And I was like ‘okay, these people are not attracted to my true interest of music, and I didn’t know how to entertain them anymore.’ So I thought maybe I should restart, and that’s why I am here.” The emotional outlet of music Summer Song was U-san’s first release in their new chapter. The song truly showcases their wide vocal range with a strong echo that resonates in your soul. Sometimes it’s the painful cry when they start singing about their loneliness, at others it’s the confidence of the verses. “It’s about a friendship, my best friend, but we had a really bad fight,” they explained. “Later I learned they were moving back to Japan — and this was before I had moved back and was still abroad. When my friend told me that, I was really shocked. “What I was able to tell them was ‘I’ll be here waiting for you to be honest to me again.’ But I was crying inside. I also knew my friend was hurting too, but they didn’t show it. They were crying in the storm. I grew up in Thailand and given that it’s a tropical country, it’s always raining. The storms always make a lot of noise, so that sound covers the crying. It’s how we hide our feelings from each other. That was the motive behind Summer Song.” Since their debut, U-san has released three original songs and plenty more covers. And if you ask them, every song they’ve ever sung has such a deep meaning. It can be bittersweet or melancholic. It can be a memory of their past, like their belting cover of YOASOBI’s Idol. While they can be eloquent with words on stream or in an interview, music is their emotional outlet. “I’m not that good at explaining my feelings to others. I describe my feelings through music instead, because it gets it across the best. “I am quite an emotional person, so when I try to share that with someone, I am a bit clumsy and can’t really control my own emotions. Music neutralizes that a bit, it gives it a filter. People will take it as entertainment. I can express my feelings publicly, but people just take it in as content.” Singing brings out the best of Unnämed. In their own words, they sound like they are “invincible”. And in many cases that is true. They can flick a switch to be “very strong, like a lion, while I am a little hamster in my daily life. “Most of my followers know I have really low self-esteem. I’m always saying ‘I don’t deserve your support’ and it always makes my fanbase very upset. They’re like ‘stop apologizing! Take our support!’ When I am singing I am so confident though.” And with VTubing now in the mix, U-san is finding a way to make sure their bigger musical dreams come true. It really starts with the aptly named Invincible Melody concert in Thailand alongside fellow star VTuber Shoto. Delayed from 2023, the in-person performance for February 25 will be the most notable example of independent VTubers putting on a huge concert. It will be U-san’s 3D debut as well. It’s an important moment for Unnämed, who has struggled with performance anxiety ever since leaving their former band. It’s also why it’s important to do it alongside someone like Shoto, who has been by U-san’s side ever since they debuted. The two of them are domineering forces in the masculine VTuber space, and if anyone could pull off a project of this scale, it’s them. “When I got offered the concert opportunity, I felt like ‘I think it would be very cool if the two of us can make this dream come true,’” they said. “It’s very hard for the indie VTubers to make concerts like this come to life, mostly due to the process. “I wanted to have Shoto with me because the reason I am as notable as I am is because of him. He let people know where I am, he let people know what I am doing. I don’t know how I can express how much I appreciate him.” And in U-san’s quest to give back to their fans, they see this as the “ultimate payback”: “At the end of the concert, I want them to feel proud for supporting me, and they feel like they’re part of the community. Because we grew this together. Those aren’t the only wins U-san has taken from VTubing. They have managed to truly find themselves a community and connection unlike they had in music or on TikTok previously. That’s best exemplified in their relationship with Thai VTuber group Algorhythm Project (often shortened to ARP). How they met was very fortunate, but it ended up blossoming into something beautiful, something that inspires U-san to keep pushing forward with their musical ambition. “They are a group of professional musicians, the real pros,” U-san said, raising their voice a little bit in excitement. “Even some major labels can’t afford quality like them. They are talented and skilled — they can write songs, produce, mix. So I wanted to be friends with them! While U-san is close to many of the members, it’s their relationship with Dacapo that stands out. The two have combined forces on covers such as Odo — which was less of a duet and more of a battle, two powerful voices fighting one another in “Muay Thai style” as they put it. “I approached Dacapo because there was a time where he was doing a karaoke stream. He was asking for song requests, and so many people requested Summer Song to him. I was like ‘stop doing that!’ I was so embarrassed. But he said ‘oh, Summer Song’ in a tone that sounded like he knew me. So I used that as a chance to take my shot. I followed him on Twitter, sent him a DM saying ‘hey man, want to do a singing battle?’” “Now Orion is one of my closest VTuber friends, and Dacapo is a really reliable guy. Whenever I want to do something cool or crazy I can ask him and he’ll be like ‘let’s go!’ Finally reaping the rewards If you ask U-san the difference between them as a streamer and as a musician, there’s not much there. After all, they are just being authentically themselves — the medium, and sometimes the words and emotions, differ. “When I’m streaming, I’m just trying to show myself. What I have learned from this year is people want to see the true and honest side of me. They didn’t expect me to roleplay as a character.” That being said, they are still hypercritical of what they show. They often private VODs and don’t allow clips on most of their streams. To see u-san, you have to be there raw, in the flesh, like every performance is a concert. It makes for a pretty special feeling when you do catch them. “I don’t want to look back at myself, and when I review my VODs, I feel like ‘oh my god, what the f**k…’ I am the number one anti of myself. It’s always like ‘stop talking!’ “I do more Twitter Spaces than YouTube streams too, and I do it at random times because I don’t announce a schedule. It makes me feel less nervous when I can do it at my own pace. “When I am feeling down, I know I don’t perform well, so I always want to keep myself in a good mood. If I am in a good mood, that’s the time I stream. But if I feel like I’m not putting on a good performance, sorry, but the VOD goes.” However, despite some of these insecurities, they find themselves in a supportive community, both in terms of the U-reis and the VTubers in their orbit. Never in VTubing has there been such an intensely dedicated fanbase around an indie talent, to the point where fans organize collab cafes which are often reserved for agency talents. U-san got one of those for their first anniversary in December. If you travel through various parts of Asia, there’s a chance you’ll see Unnämed’s face plastered on a billboard. And U-rei’s are constantly organizing fan events outside of conventions to spread the word of their oshi. It’s a little embarrassing at times for Unnämed, but a bit of positive attention never hurt anybody. “I’m trying to think of how I can return that love to them. I’m going to be scolded by my fanbase, but I don’t know whether I deserve that or not. If everyone is having fun that’s fine. But it’s just unreal to me that everyone is doing the concept cafes or doing the billboards. “When I see it, I try my best to give back to the community. There was a time that u-rei played my original song in Shibuya’s Scramble Crossing. So in return, I bought the big screen in Shinjuku and did a 10-minute free concert.” And so with all that in mind — the musical successes, the supportive community — U-san is going to stick it out, just this little bit longer, so they can achieve their dream. “I am not doing it alone. I work with some awesome creators. I have amazing fans. So 100%, 200%, 500% I am proud of what we have done this year. Not what I have done, because I was not alone. That’s the reason I am Unnämed. Because I am nobody without my fan base. “It would be cool if I became a major label musician. It would be a dream come true. “Thanks to my fans I could release an original song, release cover songs, afford myself a Live2D, and have a 3D model reveal in February. Having a major label debut on top would be a dream come true. “If I can make it happen, I will bet everything on it. If it makes me broke, I’ll accept it.”

Is the US banning TikTok? ByteDance appeals divest-or-ban bill – Dexerto
Is the US banning TikTok? ByteDance appeals divest-or-ban bill TikTokTikTok has entered court to share its argument against the US Government’s “unconstitutional” bill that requires them to either divest from ByteDance or face a ban in the country. Over the last few years, the United States government has had several attempts to prevent TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, from having access to the data of US citizens due to data privacy concerns and its connection to the Chinese Communist Party. The most recent move involves a bill that forces ByteDance to sell off its US operations within nine months from April 24, 2024, or face a ‘ban’ in the country. Here’s everything we know. Is TikTok getting banned in the USA? At the time of writing, the government in the United States of America has not announced a ban on TikTok in the country – but has passed a law that requires its parent company to sell off its US operations. On April 24, 2024, President Joe Biden signed a bill that requires ByteDance to divest its US TikTok operations, selling it to a non-adversarial company. If they have a pending sale when that nine-month timer runs out, the US will provide ByteDance with a three-month extension. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew quickly issued a statement after Biden signed the bill into law, further revealing that they plan on fighting the decision in the courts immediately. “Make no mistake, this is a ban. A ban on TikTok, a ban on you, and a ban on your voice,” he said. “Many who sponsored the bill admit a TikTok ban is their ultimate goal.” “Rest assured, we aren’t going anywhere. We are confident, and we will keep fighting for your rights in the courts.” TikTok fights against divest-or-ban bill Shortly after President Biden signed the bill forcing ByteDance to divest the short-form video platform, the company filed a lawsuit fighting against it. They slammed the bill as “unconstitutional” in the filing that was revealed through a TikTok blog post. “Congress has taken the unprecedented step of expressly singling out and banning TikTok: a vibrant online forum for protected speech and expression used by 170 million Americans to create, share, and view videos over the Internet,” they said. “That law — the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (the “Act”) — is unconstitutional.” Although the lawsuit was filed in May, TikTok didn’t enter the court until September 16, 2024, when they began to share their arguments against the bill. Both sides have asked the judge to issue a ruling before December 6, 2024, just over a month before the potential ban date. We will update this article as further developments become known.

University keeps emailing student for $1.96 unpaid bill in viral TikTok video – Dexerto
University keeps emailing student for $1.96 unpaid bill in viral TikTok video TIKTOK: JO_SIFA college student has been receiving non-stop emails from his university, trying to collect a $1.96 unpaid bill in viral TikTok video. The TikToker who posts under the handle jo_sif, has slammed the College of William and Mary for sending him multiple reminders of a small unpaid fee, despite the college’s $1.3 billion endowment. In the viral clip, which has over 2 million views, the TikToker added text on the video which reads, “Not my $1.3B endowed school hitting me up for $2 the past 8 months.” He then proceeds to show a series of emails from the college, revealing the $1.96 total amount he owes. The video ends with a screen grab video of him emailing the university back “are you guys hurting for the $1.96 or do y’all got this.” If anyone’s wondering if he really sent it, the viral video is captioned “yes I really sent the email.” The TikToker, whose real name is Joseph, has since posted updates to his followers. In follow-up clips, he revealed that the Bursar’s Office was attempting to collect unpaid printing fees from him. He responded to another email, that “since it’s been 8 months I’m assuming there are no consequences of not paying it right?” Joseph also didn’t miss the chance to ask the college if they’re “hurtin’” for the money again, before dancing shirtless with his middle fingers held up. TikTok react to Joseph’s petty unpaid bill Most people were annoyed for Joseph, and didn’t quite understand the need to pay for such a small fee. “I once got a doctor’s bill for 32 cents… the cost of the stamp was 50 cents…. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE,” one user shared. “They’ll hit you up a bunch of times for a dollar, but won’t give you your lunch money back on your account if you have left over,” another user commented “Imagine having to email someone for $1.96” someone else added. One user asked Joseph to just pay the bill, prompting the TikToker to respond “no thanks.” According to statistics from last year, America remains one of the most expensive countries in the world to go to college, as it was ranked as second country with the highest tuition fees. When it comes to student debt, the average student debt owed by American students reached a record high of $40,904 in 2021. Collectively, they owe a whopping of $1.75 trillion. Perhaps, this is why people were not happy about the constant reminders of a small unpaid fee.

United Airlines passengers criticize “unfair” boarding system favoring window seats – Dexerto
United Airlines passengers criticize “unfair” boarding system favoring window seats Unsplash: Emiel MolenaarUnited Airlines has generated a new boarding system for passengers and frequent flyers are not happy about the change. While boarding a plane can be exciting, it is sometimes difficult to maneuver around everyone already onboard. To alleviate passengers of such frustration, United Airlines has changed how they can board their planes. Since announcing the new system, United Airlines passengers have reacted with unhappiness, saying the change is “unfair.” Changes in United Airlines boarding system will not affect every passenger Though first class, premium class, and the pre-boarding group will not have to abide by the United Airlines changes, those in economy class will have to follow their new guidelines when entering the plane. The changes in effect will no longer have passengers board the plane in sections. Instead, flyers will be called by seating arrangements like window, middle, and aisle. Window seats, exit row seats, and standby seats will be able to board the plane first followed by those in middle seats. Passengers with aisle seats will board last. United Airlines has even created an acronym for the change entitled “WILMA” — window, middle aisle. The change is being implemented to reduce the time that passengers have to get up for others to move into their seats. It is estimated that at least two minutes would be saved while boarding a plane when using the WILMA method. After announcing the new changes, United Airlines passengers reacted in disapproval, saying, “Why don’t we board the flight back to front? It makes the most sense of all.” As well as, ”Not fair for people who have carry-ons and do not get space because they are seated on the aisle.” Many other people were unhappy saying that the changes would cause families with children to board separately. The new boarding system for United Airlines will launch on October 26 for domestic flights and some international flights.

United Airlines flight diverted after dog poops in plane aisle – Dexerto
United Airlines flight diverted after dog poops in plane aisle Unsplash.com: Victor Grabarczyk, Nick MoralesPassengers on a United Airlines flight were left disgusted when a flier’s dog pooped in the aisle, forcing the plane to divert after the pup’s accident stunk up the cabin. It seems like there’s no shortage of viral moments happening on airplanes these days. From passengers getting arrested over explosive breakdowns to doors literally popping off of a craft, flights have become hotspots for viral activity. Now, another in-flight incident is taking social media by storm after a fliers pooch caused a stink on a United Airlines trip. Photos taken from a UA trip from Houston to Seattle on Friday, April 5, sparked shock across the internet that showed an explosive poo in the middle of the aisle on the plane. It turns out that a traveler’s pooch had let its bowels loose during the trip, causing a major stink that left other fliers disgusted. In fact, the stench was so bad that the flight was forced to be diverted to the Dallas-Fort Worth airport so staff could clean up the mess. The video was initially posted to Reddit, with a user claiming the ground crew spent “two hours” wiping up the poo with paper towels. “The smell made me ill,” they wrote. “Gate agents kept yelling at passengers and the cabin crew. The smell never quite went away. First class toilet was declared unusable as the dog mess was apparently unresolved in there. Food went bad while on the ground, so very few snacks left.” United Airlines confirmed that the incident took place during the flight — but this isn’t the first time a dog couldn’t hold it in during a trip with this particular airline. In February, another dog was let out of its crate during a UA flight, only to poo on its owner’s seat in another ordeal that left passengers frustrated by staff’s reportedly slow response to the situation.

United Airlines passengers become sick after dog poops during flight – Dexerto
United Airlines passengers become sick after dog poops during flight United Airlines passengers became ill after the stench of a dog’s feces spread throughout the plane. On a flight gone wrong, United Airlines passengers were left sick after a dog pooped mid-air. As flight attendants scattered to clean what they could, the smell was too much to come back from. Though the plane didn’t make an emergency landing, the situation was enough for the airline to give passengers vouchers for their next flight. Flight attendants took at least 10 minutes to address the situation On a Monday night flight from Denver to Portland, passengers were left sick from the vial smell of dog poop. Allegedly, the female chihuahua was in a crate for the majority of the flight but was let out mid-air after becoming noticeably irritated. Little did the dog’s owner know the pup had to use the bathroom and did so as they pleased. After the incident, TMZ talked with a United Airlines spokesperson who said, “Our inflight crew thoroughly cleaned the area shortly after customers brought this to our attention.” They continued, “We provided sanitizing wipes and offered travel vouchers to those in the surrounding area.” However, eyewitnesses also told TMZ that attendants took at least 10 minutes to walk over and address the situation. Though dog feces was all over the seats and was eventually cleaned up, the passengers’ unhappiness ultimately led to United Airlines giving those affected at least $50 towards their next flight.

Undertale’s Megalovania played for Pope Francis during circus performance – Dexerto
Undertale’s Megalovania played for Pope Francis during circus performance In 2016, GameTheory’s MatPat gifted Pope Francis a copy of the legendary indie title ‘Undertale.’ Now, almost six years later, a circus performing for the Pope has chosen Undertale’s Megalovania as their background music. Undertale was released in 2015 by its sole developer, Toby Fox. Following the story of a child in a world of monsters, the anti-RPG stole the hearts of millions of adoring players. Not only did it captivate fans through meaningful interactions with its dozens of wacky characters, but so too did the catchy tunes heard throughout the game. However, one of Undertale’s most notable tracks is only heard when slaughtering every character you meet. This track is titled Megalovania, and it’s heard when fighting Sans at the end of a Genocide run. Coincidentally, it can also be heard when watching a circus performance held for Pope Francis. Megalovania played for Pope Francis On January 5th, a group of circus performers requested an audience with Pope Francis. During this time, no death-defying stunts were performed, but rather a series of juggling acts and dance routines. And the group brought along their own musicians to play music to accompany their acts. A few minutes into their act, the music changed to the familiar yet terrifying tune of Undertale’s Megalovania. The music pounded as a woman juggled a foam tube and beach balls with her feet. Two men threw a number of small balls between their legs, and Pope Francis, as if made from marble, watched motionless in his chair. The tricks performed on stage were reminiscent of the blitz-like attack patterns Sans himself performs in-game. More jugglers and performers joined in as the music rose to a crescendo. And at last, the performance ceased as Megalovania came to an end. Has Pope Francis played Undertale? This may seem like a random choice of music for some, but others remember a historic gaming moment that took place in 2016. GameTheory’s MatPat had the opportunity to meet the Pope during the 6th Scholas World Congress. MatPat brought along a gift – a copy of Undertale – to give to Pope Francis. Many people on Twitter theorize that, between 2016 and now, Pope Francis must have played Undertale and requested this song be a part of the performance. Or, the circus performers knew about the gift and chose Megalovania as an homage to the joke. But that’s just a theory, a game theory. For more on the Pope, check out these hilarious memes featuring Pope Francis.

United Airlines customers terrified after Boeing takeoff disaster in San Francisco – Dexerto
United Airlines customers terrified after Boeing takeoff disaster in San Francisco Unsplash: emanuviewsUnited Airlines customers have been concerned with the standard of Boeing planes after a takeoff disaster in San Francisco saw a tire drop from the sky. Barely in the third month of 2024 and already multiple airlines have found themselves the subject of scrutiny due to planes seemingly falling apart mid-flight. Just days into the new year, Alaska Airlines went viral after a brand new 171 Boeing 737 Max 9 was forced to make an emergency landing as a window and its accompanying cabin panel had blown out. Now, United Airlines is feeling the heat after a mishap during takeoff saw a Boeing 777-200’s tire fall into a nearby employee parking lot at San Francisco International Airport on the morning of March 7. And online sleuths have been quick to point to one common denominator — Boeing planes. While several vehicles were left damaged by the falling tire, no injuries were reported and the Japan-bound flight was quickly diverted to Los Angeles for an emergency landing. Aviation experts have stressed the rarity of the situation, expert Mike McCarron telling NBC Bay Area, “It’s like you bought a Chevy two, three years ago and the wheel came off. Well, who’s maintaining your car for you at that time?” “This is where I really think they’ll be focusing on United’s maintenance procedures and look at their paperwork and see where things happened,” McCarron continued. “Now, if they point to a structural problem, then you’re going to get Boeing involved as far as the build of the aircraft.” But despite the insistence that Boeing may likely not be to blame for the accident, online discourse has led many to question the safety of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “What the heck is going on with Boeing planes?!” one person wrote on X. Another agreed, writing, “It is not a good year for Boeing.” Claiming that “there is a Boeing horror story every week,” many flyers stated that they no longer felt the company’s planes were “safe.” Some though pointed out that the cause of the accident was still unknown, following McCarron’s lead by stating maintenance was likely to blame; “Maintenance is getting worse nowadays with these large companies… That is an overall sign of negligence, especially on the mechanics’ end. The lives at risk when taking off or landing as well as mid-flight is astonishing.”

Undefeated boxing icon wants to fight Jake Paul next in exhibition match – Dexerto
Undefeated boxing icon wants to fight Jake Paul next in exhibition match Instagram: Jake PaulAs Jake Paul prepares to step back into the ring, he’s apparently drawn the attention of boxing legend Andre Ward as he’s willing to fight Jake at some point. While he only holds a 5-0 record, and has yet to fight a ‘real boxer’, Jake Paul has made plenty of waves in the world of boxing with his work both in and out of the ring. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has gotten into wars of words with plenty of top-level fighters, including Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Tyson Fury, and even Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. He’ll be returning to the ring in August, ending a seven-month hiatus from fighting, and is seemingly going to fight Tommy Fury at last. However, there’s apparent interest from Andre Ward as well. Ward, who retired in 2017 with an undefeated 32-0 record, was finally inducted to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in mid-June alongside the aforementioned Mayweather, who claimed that the former light heavyweight king wants to fight Jake. “I spoke to Andre Ward. You guys seen us talking on stage, you know, at the International Boxing Hall of Fame. We was talking on stage,” Mayweather told reporters. “You know, Andre Ward was talking to me. And it’s crazy. Andre Ward said he wanted to do, he didn’t mind doing an exhibition against Jake Paul.” As noted, Ward has been out of the ring for five years – only stepping back into it to film parts of the movie franchise Creed – but the Olympic gold medallist is still a highly-skilled fighter. Unlike some of the other fighters that Jake has been called out by, Ward is right in the ring of the weight Jake typically fights at, so it would make sense on that front. Whether or not the social media star would entertain a fight with S.O.G however, is a different question altogether. So, we’ll have to wait and see.

Undertaker goes viral for protecting wife from rare shark attack – Dexerto
Undertaker goes viral for protecting wife from rare shark attack While enjoying time on the beach, former WWE star the Undertaker spared no time when he had to take charge and protect his wife from a shark. While enjoying the shorelines of a beach getaway, WWE icon the Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, rushed to his wife’s side as she encountered a shark. Calaway, who has been married to the two-time WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool since 2010, may have had his fair share of competition in the ring… but that doesn’t compare to forces of nature. While the couple expected nothing but relaxation and sunshine, what was to come would be a great surprise to both Calaway and McCool. Undertaker defended his wife Michelle McCool from a possible shark attack Calaway may have retired his Undertaker persona in 2020, but that didn’t stop him from nearly wrestling a shark for McCool, who also retired from WWE in 2011. The pair were enjoying their fun in the sun when a shark appeared out of nowhere. McCool then quickly tossed the book she was reading and texted Calaway for refuge. Though McCool has had her fair share of fighting off others, she wasn’t enough for the shark to leave her alone, so Calaway had to take a stand. McCool explained the experience, saying, “Guess I wasn’t big enough to scare him away, but you are.” The shark may not have been afraid of McCool, although it was lurking around her, but it probably wouldn’t have stood a chance if both McCool and Calaway teamed up to defend themselves, as McCool opened up to The Post in a 2020 interview about just how strong Calaway is, saying, “He’s more mentally tough than anybody I’ve ever met.” Continuing, “I think a lot of stubbornness plays into effect, too. I speak from experience from that too. But I just always tell him, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’m here for you. I’ll work out with you. I’ll cook healthy meals, whatever it takes to get you physically emotionally and mentally ready.’” Though we are unsure what type of shark the couple encountered, both Calaway and McCool are nonetheless safe and sound without any harm. Until next time, shark! In thinking about the summer and its most prominent water animals, here is the latest news on the best shark movies to watch.

YouTuber gets slapped by DAZN cameraman mid-fight and can’t believe it – Dexerto
YouTuber gets slapped by DAZN cameraman mid-fight and can’t believe it DAZNYouTuber Unbaer has responded after a clip went viral showing a DAZN cameraman slapping him on the back of the head in the middle of his Misfits boxing match. Since KSI’s Misfits Boxing signed a five-year deal with sport-streaming service DAZN in early 2023, we’ve seen an absolute ton of influencer boxing events with some of the internet’s biggest stars. However, it’s fair to call Misfits x DAZN Series 008 the most unorthodox influencer card we’ve seen to date, with a first-of-its-kind four-man ‘Survival Tag Match’ between Nichlmao, Swarmz, B Dave, and Ryan Johnston headlining as the main event. It also featured the second tag-team match we’ve seen on a Misfits card, as well as a couple of undercard bouts and a prelim show that has made it an action-packed event. However, things got a little too crazy when a cameraman got caught up in one of the bouts. Unbaer responds after DAZN cameraman slaps him during fight The event saw the anticipated rematch between Twitter superstar Corn and small YouTuber Unbaer — after the two first went toe-to-toe on Misfits 007 in May, which resulted in Unbear taking the win via split decision. Having more time to train and prepare, this time around it wouldn’t be so easy for Unbear, as Corn came out swinging in full force for revenge from the get-go. While the fight was fairly even, the third and fourth round was completely dominated by the Twitter star. With just a little over a minute and a half left on the clock in the last round, Corn backed his opponent up to the ropes, where the cameraman stood directly behind. In a clip that has since gone viral, showing the fight from another angle, it appears as if the DAZN cameraman actually slaps Unbear on the back of the head as he’s backed up into the rope. The fight was then called off by the referee just seconds later, with Corn taking the rematch via TKO, putting a third ‘decider’ bout between the two on the cards. Responding to the viral clip, Unbaer said on Twitter: “2V1 ain’t fair.” In another tweet, he added: “Listen here mate, I don’t know who you are camera man but I’m coming for you…” For more influencer boxing matches taking place this year, be sure to check out our hub right here on Dexerto to stay tuned to all the best fights.

Ulta Beauty worker reveals state of testers and skincare “smoothies” might be to blame – Dexerto
Ulta Beauty worker reveals state of testers and skincare “smoothies” might be to blame TikTok: oliviav327An Ulta Beauty worker took to TikTok to expose customers for leaving skincare testers a mess, but it turns out her commenters might be to blame. Testers are a handy way for customers to ensure they’re buying the right product for them. Whether it be matching your skin tone or ensuring any sensitivities aren’t upset by a product, the idea of “try before you buy” is one utilized by many personal care and beauty stores. However, testers are not always handled with care. TikToker Olivia, who goes by ‘Oliviav327’ on the platform, works at Ulta Beauty and has exposed messy customers by showing how Drunk Elephant testers are left in a state of upheaval. But the comments might not be what you expect, with many confessing they’ve participated in the demolition of testers all for the sake of making “smoothies.” And no, these customers aren’t drinking any of the products on display, though the name may confuse some. Instead, these smoothies are a mixture of makeup and skincare products, sometimes combined for purposeful reasons and sometimes made simply for fun. For those hoping to actually use their smoothies, Drunk Elephant is a commendable choice. The skincare line has a cult following, offering products that don’t contain any ingredients known to irritate sensitive skin. Instead, the products rely on biocompatible ingredients that the skin recognizes. Skincare smoothies are currently trending on TikTok, with 5.5 million views and almost all top videos using Drunk Elephant products. It seems these smoothies are what customers are using Ulta Beauty testers for, and they’re not even trying to deny it. “Probably was us,” one commenter said, tagging a friend. Another confessed, “I make smoothies for the fun [because] it’s silly.” Maybe next time they’ll think about cleaning up after they’re done. UMass warns of TikTok BORG drinking trend after 28 students taken to hospital – Dexerto
UMass warns of TikTok BORG drinking trend after 28 students taken to hospital TIKTOK: bellaaalonzo / www.patrick.comThe University of Massachusetts is warning about TikTok’s ‘BORG’ drinking craze, after 28 ambulances were called to parties. UMass is blaming a viral TikTok drinking trend, after almost 30 ambulances were reportedly called to off-campus parties over the weekend of March 5. The Amherst Fire Department said none of the cases were life-threatening. UMass Police reported two arrests for underage drinking. According to school officials, students were seen carrying jugs that contained a mix of alcohol, electrolytes, flavoring, and water, believed to be what TikTokers call “BORG,” or “blackout rage gallons.” UMass officials said they had never seen so many of these drinks on Saturday’s “Blarney Blowout,” an annual school celebration that typically happens before St. Patrick’s Day, AP News reported. In a statement, the university said it’s assessing the weekend’s events and warned its student body about the drinking trend that TikTok has recently popularized. What is the BORG drinking trend on TikTok? BORG, short for blackout rage gallon, is the latest trend popular across college campuses. The drink is created by filling a large plastic gallon jug with half water, half alcohol, a caffeinated flavor enhancer, and electrolytes. The fad has been fueled by recent viral TikToks of college students making and drinking the concoction, and it’s sparked an entire subculture of BORG tutorials, challenges, and skits. Some TikTokers say the beverage keeps them hydrated as they binge drink. However, while the electrolytes and water do help with hydration, the large quantity of alcohol is what makes it particularly dangerous, experts warn. “Consuming this much alcohol would be fatal for the vast majority of people, even if spread out over a full day,” Dr. George F. Kobb, director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism at the NIH, told CBS News. “It is unknown how many students actually follow BORG recipes that call for a half gallon of vodka, but doing so could turn deadly depending on how much they end up consuming.”

UK supermarket Aldi reveal Bully Hunters-style ad campaign to get kids off games – Dexerto
UK supermarket Aldi reveal Bully Hunters-style ad campaign to get kids off games ALDI UKUK discount supermarket chain Aldi has launched a new ad campaign called ‘Teatime Takedown’, reminiscent of the failed ‘Bully Hunters’ initiative, that aims to get kids off games and down to the dinner table on time. In the latest bizarre (anti) gaming-related advertising, the supermarket is looking for parents to sign-up their supposedly console-addicted children, who will take a virtual beating from “professional gamers”, in an effort to make them rage quit the game. And of course, once they have successfully been humiliated by a pro and rage quit, it is hoped they will then sprint down to the dinner table with a spring in their step. You can see the trailer for the Teatime Takedown campaign below. The motivation for the campaign comes from the brand’s own data which claims that “38% of British children refuse to sit down at the family dinner table, with more than a quarter of UK parents blaming online gaming for this phenomenon.” The trailer raises a number of questions, not least how the ‘professional’ players will manage to match up in the same game as the “target”. According to the terms and conditions, the target must accept an invitation for the “esports pro-gamer to join their game” As for the ‘pro-gamers’, they are being drafted from ‘Veloce eSports’, who describe themselves as an “esports consultancy team providing full services to individuals and brands looking to be a part of the esports revolution”. They currently field players in racing games. Hi there, Teatime Takedown is an initiative to get children back at the dinner table by enlisting a team of elite gamers to play against them and end their games early, so they can join family meal times. — Aldi Stores UK (@AldiUK) March 13, 2019 Marketing director at Aldi, David Hills, says they are “committed to helping parents on their journey to reclaiming that all important family time.” Why losing a match would prompt the child to just get off the game completely and go eat dinner is unclear, highlighted by many on social media. “”Is your kid’s rugby practice getting in the way of your weekends? We’ll send in the Samoan International side to crush them so badly they’ll abandon their hobby for good”” Why is gaming the villain, this could be any hobby on the planet? — Tom (@Codexcaster) March 13, 2019 Aldi Teatime Takedown is the worst thought out marketing campaign related to gaming that I have come across. Clearly created by someone who hasn’t played a video game and thus doesn’t realise it’s usually impossible to do what the campaign says it will https://t.co/2W2pxlHn1m — Luke Cotton (@LukeCotton) March 13, 2019 The campaign has drawn comparisons to Bully Hunters, which used a similar approach to target ‘toxicity’ in gaming, by matching supposedly elite players in matches with sexist trolls. Bully Hunters was roundly criticized for using misleading statistics and a scripted broadcast, despite claiming it was live. Parents who want to have their child participate in ‘Teatime Takedown’ will need to provide the ‘target’ Xbox or PSN game ID, or alternatively their Twitch username. In the case of a ‘successful’ Teatime Takedown, the target will be notified of the campaign and their participation in it – and then will presumably scurry down to the dinner table.

UK Twitch streamer claims sub price changes have cost them lots of money – Dexerto
UK Twitch streamer claims sub price changes have cost them lots of money Twitch’s decision to introduce locally priced subscriptions was originally seen as a positive. However, one Twitch streamer shows how the change has had a negative impact on their revenue. In the United States, a channel subscription on Twitch costs $4.99 USD. And up until August of 2021, channel subscriptions shared this universal pricetag. Yet, in some countries like the United Kingdom, £4.99 isn’t equivalent to $4.99 USD. Seeing this, Twitch announced it would introduce local sub pricing. This would allow for more affordable subscriptions for viewers around the world. And Twitch has provided a chart that shows the original sub price versus the new price. This decision was well received by the Twitch community as more affordable subs could mean more subscriptions. However, the price drop of each sub also impacts how much revenue a streamer receives. Local sub pricing hurts smaller streamer Adam “Brough1322” Brough is a Twitch streamer who streams racing content three times a week to his 76.4k followers. And on YouTube, the UK content creator has amassed a whopping 270k subscribers. With an average of 500+ per stream, Brough is classified as a medium-sized streamer who has the possibility to make a decent living from paid subscriptions. However, a recent Twitter post from Brough shows how the local subscription pricing has caused him to lose money. According to the thread, he gets 70% of cash for each paid subscription. Even with a larger cut than most streamers, Brough started to notice a loss of revenue starting in August of 2021. This was when the subscription price was changed. He states: “My actual total subscriber numbers have stayed relatively consistent over the last few months, so all told I earn approximately $3-400 less per month.” While this is a substantial loss, the streamer says he can manage the hit thanks to his YouTube channel. I was curious how @Twitch introducing local sub pricing in August last year had actually impacted things, so I delved into my own analytics. This is what happened to my average revenue per subscriber (blue is paid subscription, orange is prime subscription, I get a 70% split). pic.twitter.com/Yt7jmftohg — Broughy🥈 (@broughy1322) January 12, 2022 Brough also states that he is happy to take the hit so that his international viewers can afford to subscribe. With that said, the price change could be more detrimental to smaller streamers or similar-sized creators that don’t have a YouTube channel to fall back on. Twitch Revenue Adjustment period Knowing that streamers would lose revenue once the change took place, Twitch announced the Creator Revenue Adjustment Incentive. This ensured that creators would receive 100% of recurring, Community Gifting, Single Gift, Multi-month, and Prime subs for three months. Some eligible creators could qualify for up to 12-months when 20% or more of their sub revenue comes from viewers impacted by local sub prices. Broughy notes that small streamers should be prepared for when the Revenue Adjustment period comes to an end. There has been a lot of buzz around Twitch as of late thanks to the ongoing TV meta saga, but smaller streamers are already losing revenue. If Brough has seen a loss in revenue, you can bet other smaller streamers have too.

UK model Selina exposes Jake Paul for attempting to cheat on girlfriend Erika Costell – Dexerto
UK model Selina exposes Jake Paul for attempting to cheat on girlfriend Erika Costell UK model Selina Christoforou recently exposed massive YouTuber Jake Paul for attempting to cheat on his girlfriend, Erika Costell. In a since-deleted series of Instagram posts, Selina disclosed a collection of direct messages between herself and the YouTuber, which revealed his plans to fly her out to Miami, Florida for a ‘spontaneous’ getaway. Alongside an assortment of screenshots, Selina likewise posted a screen recording of their DMs, which spanned all the way back from January 2018 up to present. Since her publication of the images, Jake has blocked her on Instagram, likewise preventing her from making another attempt at contact through the platform. As is customary, the internet was quick on the draw to preserve their messages. A video was uploaded to YouTube of Selina recording the DMs from another device, which revealed that she was down to join Paul on for the supposed flight to Miami – although whether she was leading him on or not remains to be seen. However, some speculate that the DMs could have been faked, with a few Twitter users citing that Jake Paul’s diction in the messages doesn’t hold up to his usual speech. The video tells another story, with the account’s blue checkmark clearly visible during the duration of the clip. Neither Paul nor Costell have made an official statement on the matter through their social media accounts.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson just joined TikTok – Dexerto
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson just joined TikTok TikTok: 10DowningStreetThe Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has joined TikTok with a Number 10 Downing Street account. The Tory leader confirmed his arrival on the lip-sync video platform on May 10, following a difficult set of results for his party in the local elections which saw them lose almost 500 seats. Johnson has stated that No.10 will be using the popular social media website to share “behind the scenes” footage of government life, where he has posted two clips so far. In his first-ever upload, he said: “You won’t necessarily catch me dancing on this site,” stating his mission is to upload messages about how he can “unite” the country. Boris Johnson joins TikTok The 57-year-old’s account is called 10DowningStreet, as you might expect, making it an official government channel. There was a special guest with him on the second video, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, which featured Carol Kay’s AIN’T GONNA STOP music in the background. This marks yet another move into popular social media platforms for the Conservative Party, which will be hoping some of the 500,000 followers it has on Twitter will make the leap over to TikTok to watch its short-form videos. Johnson’s first two videos have recorded nearly three million views at the time of writing. In the comments, one user said: “Theresa would have danced. 0.001/10 Boris,” referencing Theresa May’s viral dance moves of 2018 Tory conference. Another posted: “Boris, please could you help me with my gas and electricity bill,” referencing the soaring energy costs in the UK. As the next General Election in Britain is expected to take place in 2024, that gives Boris two years to build up the account’s following. Who knows, maybe closer to the time when Brits go to the polls he might even break out a WAP – or a hairstyle tutorial.

UFC’s Sean Strickland breaks down discussing his childhood abuse with Theo Von – Dexerto
UFC’s Sean Strickland breaks down discussing his childhood abuse with Theo Von YouTube/Theo VonUFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland broke down in tears on the Theo Von podcast discussing how his father abused him. Sean Strickland is set to face Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 in Toronto this month, and the bad blood between the two reached new levels when the South African mocked the abuse he suffered as a child. These comments enraged Strickland, who jumped Du Plessis in a heated brawl as the two came to blows cageside at UFC 296. Now, during an appearance on Theo Von podcast, ‘This Past Weekend,’ Strickland got emotional explaining how the abuse he suffered growing up affected him. Sean Strickland in tears recounting childhood abuse On the podcast, Strickland detailed how his dad had threatened to kill his mother and how he hid under their bed, listening to him strangling her. “I get out, and the only thing I can see is a guitar, I just f**king crack him in the head and call the cops,” he said. “I run down the street to call the cops, he’s arrested, and my dumb ass mom bails him out of jail.” (segment begins at 12:27:50) Later on, the UFC star detailed how his dad warned his mother about how he’d use acid and chop her up if she cheated on him. The sleepless nights took a toll on the fighter, who noted how he would sleep at school – and when his teacher took away his desk, he ended up sleeping on the ground. “They don’t realize I’m up until 3 in the morning. I remember lying in bed. I remember when I stopped believing in God,” he said before beginning to tear up. “Crazy sh*t, man.” For a bit, Theo and Sean sat in silence, with the podcast host offering some comfort to the Middleweight champ who took a moment to compose himself before breaking down again. Given the comments by Du Plessis poking fun at Strickland’s abuse, all eyes will be on their heated showdown at the UFC’s first pay-per-view of the year.

UFC’s Paige VanZant makes more on OnlyFans in 24 hours than whole fighting career – Dexerto
UFC’s Paige VanZant makes more on OnlyFans in 24 hours than whole fighting career Instagram/paigevanzantUFC star Paige VanZant has revealed the shocking amount of money she’s made through OnlyFans compared to her entire career fighting. The controversial adult platform OnlyFans has given many popular creators and personalities the chance to earn more cash than they’d ever earn from other outlets and it seems like the UFC’s Paige VanZant is no exception. Throughout the years, we’ve seen big names such as Twitch streamer Alinity reveal the startling differences in money they’ve made by joining OnlyFans, and now it’s VanZant’s turn to partake in that conversation. During an interview with Barstool Sports, VanZant was asked about her OnlyFans career and revealed some wild stats that might put a lot of things in perspective when it comes to fighter pay. Paige VanZant reveals shocking OnlyFans earnings compared to fighting in UFC According to the fighter, while she has done quite a lot of things in her life, OnlyFans has proven to be the most successful from a monetary standpoint. “There’s a lot of stuff I’ve done in my career, but I’m really fortunate that my career outside of UFC and fighting has been pretty successful. I’ve worked hard in other industries trying to crossover into more of a mainstream personality,” she said. That said, the difference between OnlyFans and everything else is night and day. In other words, it’s a no contest. “OnlyFans has been my largest source of income, I would say combined in my fighting career,” she added. “I think I’ve made more money in 24 hours on OnlyFans than I had in my entire fighting career. 24 hours.” VanZant isn’t the only fighter to praise OnlyFans lately. Just recently, boxing champion Ebanie Bridges said that without OF, she’d be working at McDonald’s as she recovers from a hand injury.

UFC’s Paulo Costa backtracks Jake Paul fight offer after mocking “embarrassing” Luke Rockhold bout – Dexerto
UFC’s Paulo Costa backtracks Jake Paul fight offer after mocking “embarrassing” Luke Rockhold bout Instagram/borrachinhamma/jakepaulPaulo Costa’s victory against Luke Rockhold at UFC 278 came under fire from influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, sparking a potential fight between the two in the future. However, Costa has now backtracked on his offer to scrap it out. Jake Paul is set to make his return to the ring in October, but that hasn’t stopped him from calling out UFC stars in the build-up to his next match and Paulo Costa seems to be next on his radar. At UFC 278, Costa and Luke Rockhold put on the fight of the night in a bloody, brutal scrap that ended with Rockhold rubbing his blood all over his opponent’s face. It was wild, and for Jake Paul, worthy of critique. After learning that Paul called the fight “embarrassing” and a “glorified street fight,” Costa didn’t hold back and issued a challenge to ‘The Problem Child’ to settle this dispute with their fists. Paulo Costa calls out Jake Paul over “embarrassing” UFC fight Not wasting any time, Costa threw down the gauntlet and told Jake Paul to get started on some paperwork to throw down. “If this is the last one, Jake Paul is very welcome to send an offer or a contract and we can do this boxing fight,” he said. “I don’t know if he wants this blood, you know? I think he wants to fight wrestlers or something like that, I think.” Costa may have been confusing Jake with his brother, Logan Paul, who recently signed with the WWE following a spectacular match at SummerSlam back in August. Regardless, the challenge is there. But, on The MMA Hour, Costa said, “Jake Paul has been doing great things. He was just a YouTuber, he came into the fight business and has done great. It’s a big difference to fight wrestlers from MMA and strikers from MMA, and in my opinion he has avoided these guys [strikers].” He then backtracked on offering to fight Jake, saying, “I understand Jake is doing a great job and of course I’d like to get an easy money with him, but I have a better challenge for him. Mike Perry, he’s almost the same weight class. Mike Perry is a savage if Jake wants a real fight.” We’ll have to wait and see if Jake Paul and Costa ever agree to step into the ring together, but it may take some time, as the YouTuber already teased that his next opponent will be a pro boxer. Until then, only time will tell if Paul improves to 6-0 in October and if Costa’s UFC contract expires, which could end up paving way for match between the two.

In fact, two UFC regulars are about to make their reality TV debut in a few weeks and show the world that they are more than just superstar athletes. Paddy Pimblett and Molly MCann’s new reality TV show On January 17, it was announced by BBC that the network had greenlit a reality TV series called Paddy & Molly: Show No Mersey. But, those rumors were finally laid to rest when Paddy married his now-wife Laura Gregory back in 2023. While the network reports that the series will air “this summer”, an official release date has not been released as of yet. Its premiere will most likely coincide with the highly anticipated ending of BBC’s very successful reality TV series The Traitors UK Season 2.

UFC’s Paddy Pimblett wants Jake Paul fight if he beats Mike Perry – Dexerto
UFC’s Paddy Pimblett wants Jake Paul fight if he beats Mike Perry YouTube/MOLA/Instagram/JakePaulUFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett is open to a fight with Jake Paul, if the YouTuber-turned-boxer can defeat ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry and the price is right. On July 20, Jake Paul makes his return to the boxing ring, but it’s not against the opponent that he was supposed to take on. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was originally scheduled to fight ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, but an ulcer flare-up saw the 58-year-old need to pull out after the first press conference. Former UFC fighter ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, who has a 0-1 boxing record, has been drafted in as Tyson’s replacement and has already stated that he intends to disrupt Jake’s plans to meet ‘Iron’ Mike in November. If Jake can beat Perry, he doesn’t just have that fight with Tyson to look forward to, as UFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has thrown his hat into the ring. “If Jake Paul sends a contract over for a couple of million dollars, lad, and wants to fight me, let’s do it…,” the scouser told BestOnlinePokerSites on July 17. “We’re prize fighters at the end of the day. That’s what people forget. We’re prize fighters, we do this to get paid. It’s all about money.” The UFC lightweight even praised Jake for taking on Perry, stating that he’s only fought “clowns” to this point. “Mike Perry is a boxer, he’s a striker, he’s got hands. So I’ll be honest, Jake Paul has gained a little bit of respect from me for that,” Pimblett added. “I didn’t think he’d fighting someone as good as Mike Perry, so it would be good to see how he does. It will be interesting to see how he does.” ‘The Baddy’ had been on the radar of Jake’s brother, Logan, for a while when he was flirting with trying to get involved with the UFC. It’d be interesting if he swapped the cage for the boxing ring, seeing as Pimblett isn’t massively renowned for his striking.

UFC’s Paddy Pimblett challenges “sausage” Jake Paul: “I’d fight him tomorrow” YouTube/UFC/Instagram/JakePaulThe UFC’s newest star Paddy Pimblett has already been making a big name for himself and is now taking aim at YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, challenging The Problem Child to a fight. Jake Paul has taken the boxing world by storm, securing victories over former MMA fighters Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley en route to a 4-0 record. While normally Paul is the one to issue challenges, the script was reversed when Pimblett was asked about the YouTuber in an interview with MMA Crazy. Pimblett emerged victorious in his UFC debut, destroying Luigi Vendramini in the process. Riding high from the win, the Liverpool sensation gave his thoughts on Jake Paul and if he watched the Tyron Woodley match. Paddy Pimblett on Jake Paul “No, I don’t waste my time with sh*t like that,” he remarked. “The only thing I’ve seen is where Woodley catches him with a punch and nearly knocks him out. I’ve heard off a few people that Woodley got robbed… You need to finish people like that, or you’ll get robbed.” When pressed for his thoughts on Jake Paul himself, Pimblett gave one heck of an answer. “He’s a sausage,” the UFC star said. “I’d fight him tomorrow and I’d beat him tomorrow.” PADDY THE BADDY PADDY THE BADDY PADDY THE BADDY PADDY THE BADDY PADDY THE BADDY PADDY THE BADDY pic.twitter.com/4FWiC0QIME— UFC (@ufc) September 4, 2021 “I’d punch his face in,” he added. “It’s embarrassing the fact that Woodley lost.” Pimblett also believes that Woodley should just get the “I love Jake Paul” tattoo in order to get a second go at the YouTuber and thinks that “anyone who can box” would be able to win against the influencer. “Literally anyone who can box. Tyron Woodley can box, but from what I hear he didn’t throw enough punches in the fight. He didn’t throw enough volume. So, that’s what cost him the fight, you know what I mean?” he explained. “Give him someone like Nate Diaz who will just jab his head off.” Whether or not we end up seeing Pimblett vs Paul remains to be seen, but considering the MMA star is up to the task, the ball is now in Jake’s court.

UFC’s Dustin Poirier says YouTubers challenging pro fighters “crosses the line” – Dexerto
UFC’s Dustin Poirier says YouTubers challenging pro fighters “crosses the line” Instagram/dustinpoirier/jakepaulMMA star Dustin Poirier is still fresh off an incredible victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 257, and in a recent appearance on Hot Ones, was asked for his thoughts on YouTube boxing matches. For those out of the loop, YouTube celebrities duking it out in boxing matches have been extremely popular in recent years, partly because of brothers Jake and Logan Paul. The two have been headlining events or scoring KOs on cards stacked with talent, such as the return of ‘iron’ Mike Tyson. However, the YouTubers haven’t been sticking to just fighting each other and have now ventured into challenging major combat sports icons. For instance, Logan Paul is scheduled to fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, while Jake is primed to take on former UFC star Ben Askren. Even then, Jake has wanted to get his hands on other fighters such as Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis. On the February 4 episode of Hot Ones, host Sean Evans straight up asked Poirier for his thoughts on YouTube boxers and how he felt about them challenging pros who have been in the sport for a long time. (Segment starts at 13:55) “There does seem to be two schools of thought, you know? Those who think that the excitement around these events is good for the sport and then the other school of thought being that this is a total embarrassment to boxing,” Evans explained. “Where do you fall on that spectrum?” According to Poirier, the fact that pay-per-views are selling proves that these YouTuber matches are entertainment. “If you’re selling pay-per-views then you’re in the business of making money and entertainment, I understand that. So, I know why these guys are being pushed and all this stuff,” he said while eating some hot wings. “But if you’re a true boxing fan, I see you on that side as well.” For the 32-year-old, he understands the problem some fans have with YouTubers being the face of the sport. “The casual fans out there, when they talk about combat sports, you don’t want them to think of somebody whose misrepresenting people who worked their whole entire lives to master a craft that very few do,” he explained. “But it’s business. I understand what’s going on.” When asked about “internet clout monsters” cutting WWE-style promos against actual fighters and if it crosses a line, Poirier didn’t pull any punches. “It crosses the line to me because I’m one of these guys who can really scrap. I wish these guys would get the fights they’re calling for and get in there with real opponents and then we’ll see who is talking after,” the top-ranked UFC Lightweight grinned. While Poirier didn’t name any names, it seems like he would be interested in seeing someone like Jake Paul face off against Conor McGregor just so he can learn what it’s like to fight a pro. Jake Paul is set to battle Ben Askren on April 17 and could have a battle with the 50-0 Floyd Mayweather lined up if he manages to win his next match. Until then, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.

UFC’s Nate Diaz threatens Jake Paul amid Conor McGregor drama – Dexerto
UFC’s Nate Diaz threatens Jake Paul amid Conor McGregor drama Instagram: Jake Paul/YouTube: UFCUFC star Nate Diaz has called out Jake Paul after the YouTuber took shots at Conor McGregor and his wife in an audacious attempt to strike up a fight between himself and the Irish superstar. For the longest time, YouTubers stepping into the boxing game only ever called out each other – be it to settle a personal beef or to prove who actually is the better fighter. Though, in recent weeks and months, the focus has switched elsewhere – especially with the Paul brothers. Logan Paul is set to fight Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout in February, while Jake is looking to set up his next bout after a win over former NBA star Nate Robinson. Jake has called out a number of different fighters – including UFC superstar Conor McGregor and longtime foe Dillion Danis. Though, after taking some shot at Conor’s wife, and offering him $50 million for a fight, Nate Diaz has stepped in. The former Welterweight and Lightweight star, who has both defeated and been beaten by McGregor took to Twitter to take some shots at the YouTube star. “Jake Paul u need your ass beat for free u spoiled f**k. U can’t really fight dumbsh**. You’re gonna end up with your ass whooped for real somewhere talking like that,” he tweeted on December 14. Diaz’s response quickly sparked replies regarding a fight between the two, but it wasn’t long before Jake himself responded. Jake Paul u need your ass beat for free u spoiled fuck u can’t really fight dumbshit your gonna end up with your ass whooped for real somewhere talking like that 👊🏼 — Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) December 15, 2020 The YouTuber fired back with two posts of his own. “You saw what happened to the other Nate,” he said, quote tweeting Diaz. Jake also posted a video of himself taking it to AJ Agazarm – a fighter who trains with Diaz – in a sparring session. Though, Agazarm quickly responded with an Instagram story of his own, showing how he beat Paul in an MMA bout. You saw what happened to the other Nate. https://t.co/Uq5LY2tQaS — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) December 15, 2020 Aye @NateDiaz209 I already beat your boy up come get your mans then you can get the smoke too pic.twitter.com/a55sMs5jox — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) December 15, 2020 As it stands, it’s unlikely that Jake and Nate square off in an official bout, but it all just plays into the YouTuber’s demand for more fights outside of the content creator space. Who he’ll take on next is anyone’s guess, but, its clear he’s aiming high with the jibes at McGregor and Diaz so we’ll just have to wait and see.

UFC’s Dana White responds to Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva rumors: “That’s a real fight” – Dexerto
UFC’s Dana White responds to Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva rumors: “That’s a real fight” Showtime/Instagram/AndersonsilvaUFC President Dana White responded to rumors that Jake Paul would be fighting Anderson Silva and seemed very excited for the potential boxing match. Earlier in August, it was reported that Jake Paul and Anderson Silva were locked in to face each other in a highly anticipated head-to-head match. Although the fight has yet to be made official and talks are seemingly still ongoing, that hasn’t stopped the hype train. With more and more people excited to see what ‘The Problem Child’ can do against the former UFC champ, Dana White was asked for his thoughts. Speaking at a press conference after Dana White’s Contender Series 52, the UFC boss explained why Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva could be a must-see matchup. Dana White praises Jake Paul for taking a “real fight” At first, White seemed disinterested when asked for his opinion on the rumored fight, claiming that he “didn’t give a sh*t,” but ended up changing his tune. “If he’s really fighting Anderson Silva, and that’s true, it’s about time he’s got a real fight on his hands there,” White said. “Regardless of how old Anderson is, yeah, that’s a real fight.” Silva is nearly 50 years old, but despite his age, White is excited for the contest – which makes sense, considering he’s been pushing for Jake to fight ‘The Spider’ for quite some time. If Paul does step into the ring against Silva, it would be the third time he faced off with a former UFC fighter, having defeated Ben Askren and former Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley twice. The fight, regardless of the opponent, is currently set for October 29 with an announcement scheduled for later this week.

UFC’s Darren Till worried Tyron Woodly is paid to take a dive against Jake Paul – Dexerto
UFC’s Darren Till worried Tyron Woodly is paid to take a dive against Jake Paul ShowtimeUFC fighter Darren Till has voiced some concerns that Tyron Woodley might be willing to take a dive against Jake Paul if he were offered a large amount of money. YouTuber-turned-boxing phenomenon Jake Paul has taken the combat sports world by storm, defeating the likes of former NBA pro Nate Robinson, mixed martial artist Ben Askren, and now, has his sights set on Tyron Woodley. Woodley is a former UFC champion and by far Paul’s biggest test to date – and despite some big names predicting Tyron, others have their doubts. While on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Darren Till was asked about his thoughts on Woodley vs Paul. Considering he even lost to Woodley back at UFC 228 in 2018, he has first-hand experience combating the former champ. (Segment begins at 10:50 for mobile viewers) “Tyron Woodley beat me fair and square. Am I a better fighter than Tyron? Yeah, I truly believe. You know, I’m gonna keep stamping my name. But he beat me fair and square. And just, I’m very, very worried that like, he’s getting paid a large amount for taking, like, a dive or something,” Till revealed. “Very worried about that.” According to Till, he believes the issue comes down to Woodley’s confidence – something he thinks is severely lacking. That said, he admitted that although he doesn’t know how strong Jake Paul really is, if Woodley really wanted to win, he could. “I’m not throwing hate at Jake Paul. The guy looks like he can box and looks like he’s training hard. So, you know, I don’t know. I don’t know,” the perplexed Till added. Add this as just yet another wrinkle leading up to what should be a slobberknocker of a boxing match. Of course, Paul is used to people believing his opponents take dives against him, so this shouldn’t come as anything new to The Problem Child. We’ll have to see what happens when Woodley and Paul duke it out on August 29.

UFC star Paddy Pimblett wants to fight Mike Tyson after Logan Paul – Dexerto
UFC star Paddy Pimblett wants to fight Mike Tyson after Logan Paul YouTube/UFC/Instagram/MikeTyson/LoganPaulMove over, Logan Paul! Rising UFC star Paddy Pimblett wants to be next in line to duke it out with ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson now that the boxing legend has returned to the ring. Ever since Mike Tyson stepped back into the world of boxing to battle it out with Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout, the combat sports world has been wondering who he will fight next. Reports have indicated that his next opponent could very well be YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul, who has shown more interest in taking on the 55-year-old ever since many in the industry, such as Joe Rogan, predicted Tyson over him. However, Logan Paul isn’t the only one hoping for a fight against the legend, as mixed martial artist Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett expressed interest in a possible match in a video with Barstool Sports. Paddy Pimblett vs Mike Tyson? During a chat with Barstool Sports, he was asked about if he would be down to fight Mike Tyson and in typical Pimblett style, his answer didn’t disappoint. “He’s like fifty-something now. I would fight him. I mean, he can box. Obviously, he can punch my f**king head right in,” he remarked, but teased he could have an advantage with his UFC skills. “But he doesn’t know when it’s coming when I shoot him. I don’t care if it’s a boxing match.” To follow that up, he promised he would drop Mike right on his head, but noted it would be an “honor” to step into the ring with one of the all-time greats and would be down for an exhibition match. (Segment begins at 3:40) View this post on Instagram “That would be sick,” he said. “It would just be an honor. It’s Mike Tyson!” While it’s doubtful that Pimblett can jump in front of Logan Paul and fight Tyson very soon, it’s interesting to note that he also expressed a desire to fight The Maverick’s brother Jake Paul. Back in September, Paddy called The Problem Child a “sausage” and stated he would be willing to fight (and beat) him “tomorrow,” adding that it was embarrassing that he beat ex UFC champion Tyron Woodley. Whether or not Pimblett does in fact end up fighting either Jake or Tyson remains to be seen, but hopefully, we end up seeing either at some point in the future.
