  • Twitch streamer eventually banned after doxxing donator over ‘death threat’ – Dexerto

Twitch streamer eventually banned after doxxing donator over ‘death threat’ Spekel, Twitter / Rockstar Games, LSPDFR.comTwitch streamer and GTA V role player ‘Spekel’ doxxed a donator during a live stream in late April, after interpreting their donation message as a death threat – and now, she has finally answered for the incident. According to a Tweet published by Spekel on May 3, she has received a 30-day ban for the offense, apologizing for her actions and thanking her fans for their continued support. “…I heard back from Twitch and I will be doing my punishment for fucking up for 30 days,” Spekel wrote of the incident. “I appreciate the support people have shown me and we will come back stronger than ever. Sorry I let you guys down.” Hey guys a heads up. I heard back from twitch and I will be doing my punishment for fucking up for 30 days. I appreciate the support people have shown me and we will come back stronger than ever. Sorry I let you guys down. — Spekel (@Spekel_Anna) May 3, 2019 While some commenters felt that her ban was “fully deserved,” others made sure to show their support and sympathy, encouraging her to “bounce back” after her time away from the site is complete. The story behind Spekel’s 30-day Twitch ban Spekel’s ban comes nearly ten days after she doxxed a viewer for their donation message, which she interpreted as a purported death threat. While the VOD in question has since been deleted, Reddit commenters cited the original donation as reading, “Guess you should get shot when you step foot on someone else’s property.” You didn’t let anyone down, people make mistakes. What matters most is what you do going forward, and I look forward to your return! — Dagster007 (@dagster007) May 4, 2019 Spekel took offense to this message and went on to release the commenter’s full name and email address in response to the alleged threat – which was quickly revealed as a reference her actions in-game, instead. “Not a death threat,” the donator responded in another message. “Spin it how you’d like. Referring to your actions in-game.” However, this explanation didn’t appease Spekel in the slightest, who replied to the message by saying, “You might want to be a little clearer about that, because you’re acting a little psycho man. …If he’s going to try and make me feel intimidated with a little rant about a fucking video game, he deserves to be doxxed.” Spekel apologizes for the doxxing debacle Spekel went on to issue an apology shortly afterwards via Twitter, claiming that she was “shocked and angry” and that she “didn’t expect it to go this way, at all.” I would like to say that i am deeply sorry about how i reacted to what i thought was a death threat. At the time I did this i didn’t expect it to go this way at all, i was shocked and angry. I have upset a lot of people regarding this incident and i apologize again for any harm. — Spekel (@Spekel_Anna) April 24, 2019 Spekel’s 30-day ban follows the ban of two Twitch artists on May 2, who received mass backlash after bullying a fellow artist during a live broadcast, calling her a “piece of trash” and insulting her for being “autistic.”

  • Twitch streamer banned for 30 days for using word he didn’t know was offensive – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned for 30 days for using word he didn’t know was offensive UnsplashA Twitch streamer’s choice of language during a livestream has landed him in hot water, but he’s since claimed that he didn’t actually know the word he used was offensive at all. James D’Arcangelo, who goes by the name of Cloneman16, revealed on March 18 that he has been temporarily suspended from the streaming platform. The ban that he’s been given will last up to 30 days, after using a term that Twitch deemed to be offensive enough to take action. “Sadly I’ve been suspended for 30 days on Twitch, going to try and fix this,” he said in a tweet after his suspension was confirmed. The word used by the streamer was “mongoloid,” which is an offensive word that has been used in the past to label people with Down’s Syndrome. Sadly I’ve been suspended for 30 days on twitch, going to try and fix this. It was for hateful conduct for the word “”mongoloid””. I didn’t know the true meaning of it till now and I would like to apologize for this. — James D’Arcangelo (@Cloneman16) March 18, 2019 “It was for hateful conduct for the word ‘mongoloid’. I didn’t know the true meaning of it until now and I would like to apologize for this,” he added. The streamer is known to play Overwatch for his viewers on Twitch but now, sadly for them, they will have to wait quite some time until they can tune into another one of his broadcasts again.

  • Twitch streamer banned after starting body paint stream too early – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after starting body paint stream too early Twitter / AriaNinaa_A Twitch streamer has had her account suspended after starting a body painting stream almost entirely topless, and has reacted angrily to the decision on social media. Body painting on Twitch is somewhat of a grey area in terms of the community guidelines, as some believe streamers use it as a loophole to avoid bans for sexually suggestive content under the guise of art and creativity. However, there are many body painting streamers who, with the exception of the paint, are effectively nude from the waste up regularly, and receive no disciplinary action from Twitch. One such streamer, AriaNina, appears to have pushed the boundaries just slightly too far, after starting her stream with only a small area of paint covering her chest, which was otherwise entirely exposed. The clip, which can be viewed here (NSFW), was circulated on social media, and later removed from Twitch, along with AriaNina’s channel. Following her ban, AriaNina claimed that she believed “body painting with an actual artist” was allowed. So proper body painting with an actual artist is against tos? Last checked it was allowed https://t.co/1aFpBoiZkb — AriaNina (@AriaNina_) January 13, 2019 There is a specific section which addresses body painting in the Twitch community guidelines, however it does stipulate that the “intent” of the content is taken into consideration. Body painting, dancing, and other creative activities that do not violate our policies are welcome on Twitch. If flagged as potential sexually suggestive content, we will consider the context and intent of the content to determine whether the reported conduct violates our policies. AriaNina has since said that if she is not unbanned on Twitch, she will take her body painting activities elsewhere and stream them on YouTube instead. Twitch was actually super fun!!! Thank you to @blonaldtrump for the help. Sad I got banned but Twas fun. Thanks for the love. Also you guys sure know how to create a toxic chat lol  thanks to the mods for trying to fix that lol. If I don’t get unbanned maybe I’ll try YT. — AriaNina (@AriaNina_) January 13, 2019

  • Twitch streamer banned after making demands for her pool streams – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after making demands for her pool streams Twitter: Savanasushi/UnsplashStreamer Savana ‘Savanasushi’ Hume appears to have been banned from Twitch on May 6 after threatening to stop her poolside streams if she didn’t rack up enough subscribers. Some Twitch viewers may believe it’s pretty difficult to get a ban from the livestreaming platform – a number of channels continuously flirt with breaking the rules and get away with it and fans are often vocal about the lack of clarity and consistency in the way that suspensions are handled. However, it appears as if Twitch is, at least in this one instance, cracking down on a certain type of broadcast and streamer – those who demand support to keep their streams ticking over. Prior to her ban, Savanasushi had been broadcasting live from a poolside and was demanding that viewers start subscribing to keep things going. “If there’s not more than 20 subscribes today I will not be doing this stream ever again,” she stated, laying down the law to her viewers. “I’m just saying. Subscribe, follow, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of my pool streams.” Read More: Twitch accused of double standards after banning streamer for sexually suggestive content – The streamer also teased the possibility of bringing her friends to stream alongside her in the future. However, that will have to wait, seeing as the channel has since been struck down. While her statements received some criticism from viewers and various Redditors, it came as a surprise to many when Savanashushi’s Twitch account disappeared from the platform some time later. Whether the streamer broke another Twitch rule after the clip in question is currently uncertain. Has Savanasushi responded? While it’s unclear as to why the streamer has been banned (Twitch has made no statement about which rules were broken) the general consensus on Reddit at the time of writing is that it is due to her poolside comments. Hume is yet to reveal any thoughts about the suspension on social media. However, she posted a Tweet later in the day that was aimed at users who aren’t a fan of her type of broadcasts. “If you think titty streamers are “stealing” your viewers, are those truly the viewers you want?” Savana tweeted. “All these tweets about booby streamers are so annoying. Can we all just move on and stop being toxic about boobs? WE ALL LOVE BOOBS.” If you think titty streamers are “stealing” your viewers, are those truly the viewers you want? All these tweets about booby streamers are so annoying. Can we all just move on and stop being toxic about boobs? WE ALL LOVE BOOBS pic.twitter.com/qiXOyPsC6v— Savanasushi (@SavanaHume) May 6, 2019 How long is Savanasushi’s ban? It remains to be seen if her channel has been struck down permanently, or if she has only received a temporary ban and will return with her streams before long. Seeing as this isn’t the first time that her channel has been taken down by Twitch, with previous 24-hour bans for sexually suggestive content, she might not get an all-too lenient suspension length this time around. However, even if it is only a small-length suspension, viewers will probably have to find more than the previously requested 20 subscribers if they want her to keep the poolside streams going.

  • Twitch streamer banned after shooting his camera man with a crossbow – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after shooting his camera man with a crossbow Official Duck Studios | TwitchDuring a Twitch livestream, Reice, a.k.a. the founder of Official Duck Studios, shot at his cameraman Joey through a door with a crossbow. The bolt penetrated the door, hitting Joey in the stomach. There’s a lot of crazy stuff that happens on IRL Twitch streams. From people falling over and hurting themselves to near-death experiences and even people getting their belongings stolen while live, you never know what’s going to happen when someone goes live on the platform. Official Duck Studios, a YouTube channel spearheaded by a man named Reice, did a drunk livestream where they were doing some target practice with a crossbow. They got curious about whether or not the crossbow could go through the door and sent camera man Joey behind the door to find out if it would hit him. Playing with a deadly weapon on stream probably wasn’t the best idea, as they found out after Joey stood behind a door that was the target for Reice’s experiment. It didn’t go well. Twitch streamer shoots camera man through door with crossbow The conversation began with Reice asking his chat whether or not they thought the crossbow bolt would go through the door, letting his chat vote on it. Despite most of them saying yes and he himself saying the door was “toast” if it got shot by the bolt, they sent Joey behind the door anyways and shot at him. Before lining up the shot, Reice said, “Crossbow is pulled back, safety is off. Place your bets.” The bolt was fired. Though Joey didn’t have a mic on him, he could be heard wailing in pain from the other side of the door as he collapsed with the camera in hand. For a minute or so, the camera went dark until the group swapped to their computer’s webcam. Soon after, Joey walked in and showed his injury on the livestream, with Reice screaming, “That looks real bad!” followed by Joey confirming that “it don’t feel good” and yelling at his friends for shooting “through his favorite shirt.” Reice proclaimed that he should do “No more streaming with alcohol.” Joey proceeded to drink a beer with chat spamming things like “HOSPITAL” and “YOU SHOT JOEY” after seeing the severity of the wound. A viewer donated with a message that reads, “Attention idiots: go to hospital. Internal bleeding possible. Stop being drunk morons and get actual care going.” Before ending the stream, Reice said, “Please ban us, Twitch. It’s probably for the best.” They’ve since been banned from the platform. Tweets from Reice following the incident have been generally light-hearted, with him joking that they’ve got the only “live wallbang” that’s ever happened on a livestream. Joey seems to be on the mend following the incident, but it’s as of yet unclear whether or not they’ll ever get unbanned on Twitch.

  • Twitch streamer banned after seemingly putting forks in toasters – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after seemingly putting forks in toasters X: imbogglesA Twitch streamer has been banned after seemingly putting forks in toasters for a bit — though the legitimacy of the content was soon called into question. One lesson most people are likely to remember is having their parents warn against putting metal utensils in the toaster. After all, the risk of electrocution isn’t worth getting out a stuck piece of toast. However, Twitch streamer ‘imboggles‘ seemingly isn’t one to follow the rules. Last year he was banned from an Aussie gaming event and now he’s been banned from Twitch. This time for posting numerous skits in which he appears to plunge metal forks into toasters. With some sneaky staging and editing, Boggles appears to get blown backward in a spray of sparks. And although none of it is real, it was enough for Twitch to step in. After upping the ante by introducing a second toaster to his stream and flying backward once again following his “electrocution”, Boggles’ reign came to an end. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Boggles shared that his antics had resulted in Twitch banning his account; “Please [Twitch and TwitchSupport], it was an honest mistake. I don’t know what to do right now.” Boggles included in his post a letter from Twitch in which the platform wrote, “We’ve reviewed your content and we’re concerned about you.” The letter went on to remind Boggles that “suicidal or self-harm behaviors” were not permitted on the platform, subsequently resulting in his 30-day suspension. “If you’re currently struggling or feeling unsafe, please reach out for help, talk to someone you trust, contact your doctor, or go to the hospital,” the letter advised Boggles. Boggles has since announced he will be moving his content to Twitch’s rival platform Kick while waiting for his account to be unbanned. Though some viewers are hoping Boggles at least learned his lesson when it comes to sticking metal in toasters; “Deserved. That’s the kind of sh** kids might reproduce at home because someone they might look up to should know better but does it anyway. That’ll give you time to think.”

  • Twitch streamer banned after mocking hot tub streams in a bra – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after mocking hot tub streams in a bra Twitter: udysofTwitch streamer and former League of Legends pro Toby ‘udysof’ Horne received a one-day ban after he gave his take on the hot tub streams that have run wild on the Amazon-owned platform. The Just Chatting section on Twitch has always been a hot topic of conversation for streamers and viewers because of how far some creators stretch the community guidelines on the platform. In recent weeks, the hot tub ‘meta’ has taken over the section, where streamers will sit in a hot tub – or something similar – in just their swimwear and chat to viewers. Some streamers have criticized Twitch as a result, believing that some have pushed the boundaries a little too far and the streams have created a grey area in the rules. The trend has also given way to plenty of parody streams too, with one streamer using Star Wars figures to replicate a hot tub stream, and another sitting in a bucket of water. Now though, one streamer has been banned following their take on the streams. During his April 24 stream, Australian League of Legends streamer udysof mocked the hot tub streams by sitting in a paddling pool in a bra and other underwear, leaning into the camera in a suggestive manner. Like some other Just Chatting streamers do, and have been slammed for doing so, he’d also written the names of subscribers over his body. While his viewers may have thought the whole thing was funny, Horne was hit with a temporary ban after the hilarity was over. https://twitter.com/CrewyTV/status/1386255662011670531 “Got banned for 1 day, no more hot tub streams” he tweeted afterwards with a frowny face emoji attached. Though, he did follow it up with a joking “I’ll be back” post too. Got banned for 1 day no more hottub streams 🙁 https://t.co/gqpgrdg9xb — Toby (@udysof) April 25, 2021 Some fans questioned how he’d been hit with a suspension, given that they believed he didn’t go as far as some others, but Twitch very rarely reveals the exact reason why. It was likely because of the underwear he was wearing, seeing as it wasn’t a swimsuit, but rather just a typical bra. But again, that’s one of the grey areas that streamers have criticized Twitch for not clearing up. We’ll have to wait and see if the former League of Legends pro will shed some light on it when he gets back to streaming.

  • Twitch streamer banned after hot tub bikini stream goes too far – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after hot tub bikini stream goes too far YouTube/brianas_w0rldTwitch has banned a hot tub streamer after her bikini broadcast went viral for going a bit too far with what was allowed on the platform. Streamer ‘brianas_w0rld’ has been banned on Twitch when her bikini stream became so spicy, it restarted the discussion on whether or not the content belongs on the site. The hot tub meta on Twitch remains one of the site’s most controversial after a year-long debate over its acceptance due to what some perceive as sexual content. While Twitch decided to give hot tub streams their own category, pushing them out of the ‘Just Chatting’ section, there are still streamers who push the envelope and that’s exactly what happened on Monday. Twitch streamer banned after over-the-top hot tub stream On October 18, Twitch streamer ‘brianas_w0rld’ went live. Like many hot tub streamers, she implemented stream goals, such as writing a viewer’s name on her body if they donated $20, but her other content raised some eyebrows. The controversy began when she started copying yoga poses and doing squats in her bikini, showing her assets off to the camera in the process. Clips from the broadcast began surfacing on Twitter with some wondering why the content was allowed. “It’s definitely not and probably just needs to be timestamped and reported,” said fellow streamer Pokket. JakeNBake also got in on the debate, tweeting a video and further asking why the content was on Twitch, before further explaining his position. “I am on the side of hate the game, not the player. If it’s allowed, go for it,” he stated. “But, I think Twitch has obviously let the line drift way too far AND the insane inconsistency with moderating content on the platform is just disappointing.” In any case, it wasn’t too long after that, Twitch took action and hit the streamer with the ban hammer. So far, Briana has yet to address the ban on social media. She has, however, started posting her videos to YouTube and seems to be aware that her content isn’t for everyone as she describes herself in her channel description as “highly inappropriate.”

  • Twitch streamer banned after Mizkif accidentally makes stream viral – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after Mizkif accidentally makes stream viral Twitch/MizkifTwitch star Mizkif accidentally made a small stream viral, with the channel eventually banned from the platform, after his awkward discovery of it led to thousands of viewers descending on the rule-breaking broadcast. The Just Chatting section on Twitch has gone through quite a few renovations over the years as streamers get more innovative with the type of content they produce. While the title may suggest that streamers just talk with their viewers about a variety of topics rather than play games, others have used the category for hot tub streams and other risque broadcasts that brought about the implementation of new categories. Still, this hasn’t stopped certain streamers from getting a little bit too mature for Twitch’s liking, and that’s exactly what Mizkif saw when he browsed the category during his own broadcast. Mizkif gets streamer banned by accident As Mizkif browsed Just Chatting during a December 15 stream, he stumbled across a streamer named ‘raabullies’ with her thumbnail showing off more than is typically permitted on the platform. At the time he saw it, raabullies’ ‘Join Me’ stream had just 21 viewers, but that number soon shot up after Mizkif’s audience jumped to check it out. Not long after, the channel ended up getting banned with some even claiming that the woman exposed herself after rising to 6,000 viewers. However, according to the stat-tracking website StreamCharts, she ended up peaking at 2,334 viewers before being banned, though the information might not include the full broadcast. Clearly, once the broadcast started to get more attention than they probably bargained for, Twitch’s moderation team quickly caught on and shut it down. In any case, just like with how big streamers can make careers by raiding smaller streamers, it turns out they can end certain ones before they even begin too.

  • Twitch streamer banned after drawing the Prophet Muhammad on stream – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after drawing the Prophet Muhammad on stream TwitchA Twitch streamer has been banned for drawing a nude picture of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad following the decision to allow more sexual content on the platform. Twitch’s decision to allow streamers to broadcast more sexual content for “artistic” purposes has seen mixed results, with some praising the new approach, while others think it goes too far. A day after the Amazon-owned platform implemented the changes, following the rise of the new “topless” meta, the Art section on the site became overrun by explicit furry and anime drawings. Amid the chaos, one streamer, known as ‘KennyAnimated,’ began drawing a picture of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad – only to have his account banned after completing the image. Twitch bans streamer for drawing the Prophet Muhammad Depicting Muhammad in any capacity has been very controversial, as visual depictions of the Prophet are prohibited in the Islamic faith. Throughout the years, free speech activists haven’t shied away from challenging the notion that they shouldn’t show Muhammad by hosting drawing contests or depicting him in media. For instance, one of South Park’s banned episodes, Super Best Friends, depicts Muhammad as part of a religious superhero team with Moses, Buddha, Jesus and others. The episode resulted in numerous death threats against the creators and it is no longer available on streaming platforms. On December 13, the same day Twitch decided to allow “artistic nudity” on the platform, KennyAnimated decided to draw a naked picture of Muhammad on stream performing a very explicit action. Shortly after finishing the drawing, a clip from the broadcast went viral on Reddit, and Kenny was banned on Twitch – though it’s unclear if the reason was due to drawing Muhammad or due to what was happening in the picture. With Twitch’s new policies, there seems to be quite a bit of confusion about what is and isn’t allowed, so be sure to keep it locked to Dexerto for all the latest in the streaming and entertainment world.

  • Twitch streamer banned after controversial ASMR stream goes viral – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after controversial ASMR stream goes viral Instagram: alinaarose9Twitch partner and Fortnite streamer alinaarose has been banned from the platform after a clip from her latest stream, in which she used an ASMR microphone, went viral. ASMR is one of the biggest trends in streaming from the past few years. While you’re most likely to catch it on YouTube, ASMR is a big thing on Twitch too. However, Twitch is pretty much zero tolerance when it comes to sexually suggestive content, to the point they’ve banned streamers, including the likes of Forsen, for briefly broadcasting inappropriate images by complete accident. However, after a clip from her latest stream went viral, ‘alinaarose’ became a casualty of the Twitch ban hammer for the fourth time. ❌ Twitch Partner “”alinaarose”” (@perlaababee) has been banned! ❌https://t.co/czVJKeLA1n#twitch #ban #fourthban #partner #twitchpartner 🕤 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) February 27, 2021 The clip shows alinaarose and another streamer, actuallyangell, performing ASMR with a specially-designed microphone. “Oh yes, daddy,” they both say at one point in the clip. Twitch does not comment on individual bans, so we don’t know the exact reason why alinaarose picked up a ban. However, the terms of service do legislate against “sexually suggestive content.” The guidelines state: “Evaluations on the sexual suggestiveness of a behavior or activity are independent of user attire and are instead based on the overall surrounding framing and context.” https://twitter.com/KnightFN_/status/1365580436261462016 While alinaarose’s final stream was under the Just Chatting category, she was predominantly a Fortnite streamer who is sponsored by Mexican esports organization TIMBER. It was in the ASMR category where she achieved most of her viewership, however, as stats from TwitchTracker show she averaged over 2,000 viewers when streaming ASMR. After her ban, alinaarose tweeted to express her acceptance of the ruling and thanked her fans for their support. Rip lol It is what is it I know everything will be fine I don’t know how long I’m banned for but I just want to thank everyone who supports me and is always kind to me and wants to see winning 🥰 I appreciate everything in life ,life has is ups and downs but I’ll be ok ☺️— Alina Rose 🌹 (@alinaa_rose9) February 27, 2021 “It is what it is,” she said. “I know everything will be fine. I don’t know how long I’m banned for but I just want to thank everyone who supports me and is always kind to me and wants to see me win. “I just try my best to make money because I grew up poor. I try to help my mom out as much as I can. I try to help the people around me as much as I can too. I know at the end of the day I’m a good person and my good karma will come back to me. Life has its ups and downs but I’ll be ok.” It is unclear at this stage whether Twitch will allow alinaarose to return to the site. Repeat violations of the community guidelines can lead to indefinite suspensions, but if it’s only temporary, the max ban length is 30 days.

  • Twitch streamer banned after destroying phone & placing cat in microwave – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after destroying phone & placing cat in microwave TwitchA child has been banned on Twitch after he filmed himself trying to ‘charge’ his phone and placing his cat in a microwave. The child quickly became viral after one of his clips from Twitch was posted on Reddit, titled: ‘Kid charges his phone to 100% in 2 seconds’. In the clip he films himself giggling as he puts his phone in the microwave. Unsurprisingly, the stream didn’t last too much longer after that, as the screen quickly went green and the broadcast went down, with the device immediately damaged almost instantly after the waves started to hit it. Other clips from the broadcast have since surfaced, with one video showing the young boy grabbing his pet cat and placing it inside the microwave, even closing the door. Thankfully, he decided not to switch it on following comments from viewers telling him to stop. Unsurprisingly, viewers were stunned, with many criticizing not only the young boy but his parents for leaving him alone in that situation and allowing him to stream on the platform at such a young age. “Where are his parents?” asked one Reddit user who went on to tag PETA, while another user commented that he was “way too excited to do it.” Shortly after the clips went viral, they were all deleted from the child’s channel, which has since been banned. It’s unclear whether Twitch decided that the destruction of the phone, the situation with the cat, or the fact that the boy looks like he is under the age of 13 was the final nail in the coffin of his channel, but Dexerto has reached out to the Amazon-owned platform for confirmation.

  • Twitch streamer banned after bullying artist – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after bullying artist Streamer “crokonikeosrs” has seemingly been banned from Twitch after calling the art of a female content creator a “crime against God” during a January broadcast, among other insults. While Twitch is known as a haven for unexpected content, the broadcast of one streamer on the platform quickly went viral on January 8, thanks to their incredibly negative comments regarding another broadcaster. Streamer “crokonikeosrs” and a friend were watching the stream of fellow content creator “moonlightandlace,” but they weren’t in it for entertainment — instead, they used their platform as a means to make hurtful statements about her and her art. “It’s like some school shooter s**t,” one of the streamers can be heard saying as moonlightandlace held up a notepad drawing. “That’s what that is now. School shooter s**t. …I’ll give her a follow, though, because I just wanna keep coming back to check on her stupid a**.” Moonlight went on to showcase a sketch from “The Mandalorian,” which drew a high-pitched laugh from one of the broadcasters. “I drew that s**t when I was in primary school, dude,” one commented. “I don’t like abusing people, I just like s**t-talking them. Like this chick. Have you seen her picture? …she drew this. She has the audacity to draw this s**t, and then show it on stream as her artwork. That’s a f**king crime against God, dude.” While moonlight has yet to comment on the horrid remarks from the Twitch bullies, viewers have come out in droves to support her, denouncing the streamers’ hateful words. “Trash humans can’t come up with anything better to do than bash someone for ‘content,’” one user wrote. “Here’s to hoping this loser quits streaming cause twitch really doesn’t need any more of these people.” Others claimed to have reported the channel, which has since been taken down at the time of writing. This wouldn’t be the first time a streamer has been banned after making hurtful comments about another broadcaster’s art, either: in May 2019, Twitch artist “ Kuno” and his girlfriend found themselves suspended after openly mocking a fellow artist’s work during a broadcast. While bullies still exist, it’s comforting to know that viewers will band together to make sure such behavior doesn’t go unpunished.

  • Twitch streamer banned after being denied partnership over age – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after being denied partnership over age Twitch: AverageHarryTwitch streamer AverageHarry has been permanently banned after his partnership application was denied, and they discovered he allegedly signed up while under the age of 13. AverageHarry has been through a bit of a roller-coaster ride lately. It started back in October 2020 when a video of him getting mocked by strangers and crying on stream went viral. Since then, his popularity skyrocketed, and he applied to become a Twitch partnered streamer. However, the application was denied in January 2021 after discovering he made the account when he was less than 13 years old, which didn’t align with his account details. But the drama doesn’t end there. Twitch also said he could lose access to his account because of the restriction. Now, it appears they have doubled down on that claim and made it happen. “I have just been permabanned on Twitch,” said AverageHarry. “For anyone wondering, this is why. He shared a previous tweet, which included a screenshot of the email he received when they denied his application. “You’ve listed your age as 15, although this doesn’t appear to align with your account details,” said Twitch. “Please get in touch with Twitch support in order to see whether you can update your birthday to be accurate. Otherwise, you may need to make a new account with correct details.” Read more: Why was Codemiko banned on Twitch? – However, AverageHarry hasn’t given up yet. “I’ll have a video out tomorrow talking about it all,” he said. “I am allowed to make another account, but I have just lost nearly 90k followers.” https://twitter.com/HarryButAverage/status/1352787180796727296?s=20 He might try and have the ban overturned, which could happen if enough people rally behind him. And it seems like they are, with many people sharing their support on social media. “He genuinely seemed like a good kid,” wrote one user. “Hope he makes a new account and stuff.” “That Twitch account was made by his parents and given to him by his parents after he was 13 and provided proof for that,” wrote another. “But [he] still got his account removed. [I] hope the best for him.” In the end, though, Twitch is treating it as a serious matter and won’t want to set a precedent. So, it will be interesting to see what happens and whether their decision is final.

  • Twitch streamer banned after bizarre ‘queef’ clip goes viral – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after bizarre ‘queef’ clip goes viral Twitch: ItsPinkieTwitch streamer ItsPinkie has been suspended from the platform, shortly after a clip of her ‘queefing’ on stream went viral on social media. It’s unclear if this directly caused the ban, but the streamer has alluded to it. Twitch’s community guidelines provide a set of content rules which streamers must abide by, but with millions of streamers and so much content, not everything will fit neatly into one of the stipulated rules. On March 26, ItsPinkie, a partnered streamer on the platform, was streaming to a peak of around 1,000 viewers when she showed off a peculiar talent. It turns out that she is capable of ‘queefing on demand’ and proved it to her viewers. Twitch bans ItsPinkie In one of the more eyebrow-raising Twitch bans you’ll see, ItsPinkie’s channel was soon after suspended, for a total of 3 days. Read More: JakenbakeLIVE banned on Twitch – After her suspension, the streamer didn’t complain, but rather Tweeted “normalize front butt flatulence.” Confirming that the ban was only three days, Pinkie also suggested that xQc, one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, should also face a suspension for “farting into mics as well.” https://twitter.com/ItsPinkieTV/status/1375820072837644292 The clip of Pinkie’s “front butt flatulence” spread like wildfire on Twitter and Reddit, with one clip amassing over 700,000 views within less than 24 hours. Warning: Some viewers may find the clip unpleasant. https://twitter.com/MoJoDFS/status/1375551233629519880 Unsurprisingly, there is no specific rule listed in Twitch’s community guidelines about this kind of thing specifically. However, there are a number of rules about “suggestive” content, and directing attention to specific body parts, which this clip may fall under. It’s not an indefinite suspension and ItsPinkie’s partnership has not been revoked. In future, it will be best to avoid demonstrating her unique talent, however. Twitch does not comment on community guideline violations to respect the privacy of users.

On February 17, Twitch streamer ‘sidneuke’ was driving in a car and talking to her chat when she picked up her phone. In a split moment, something could be heard hitting her car, prompting the shocked streamer to pull over and inspect the damage. After doing so, an animal could be heard whimpering in the background, leading sidneuke to unbuckle her seat belt and get out of her vehicle. Twitch streamer appears to run over dog after distracted driving According to Polish website Boop, the streamer started saying that there shouldn’t have been dogs on the road, to begin with. Once outside of her car, the streamer reportedly began asking, “how many dogs are there.” Eventually, she got back in the car and drove off. (Warning: the video may be disturbing to some viewers) Shortly after the incident, Twitch banned the streamer, likely for distracted driving, as we’ve seen the platform suspend others for looking at their phone while on the road. It’s not clear if the ban is permanent, but at the moment, her account reads, “This channel is currently unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.” Footage of the disturbing incident spread to Reddit, where users blasted the streamer for her actions. “So stupid. She is driving while looking at her phone the whole time,” one user commented. “This clip shows a perfect example of distraction due to phone while driving,” said another. “It is terrible the dog is hurt, but imagine it could easily have been a child or pedestrian or cyclist also. Straight to jail.” It’s not yet known if Polish authorities are investigating the incident, and Sidneuke has yet to address the situation on social media.

Twitch streamer banned after appearing to threaten daughter in Tarkov rage Twitter: campx911 / TwitchTwitch streamer ‘KillaMfCam’ has been banned from the platform after the 26-year-old father-of-one appeared to threaten to “break” his child’s neck in an Escape from Tarkov-induced rage. Warning: the following comments may be disturbing for some. KillaMfCam, who calls himself a “gamer by nature, streamer for fun,” on his Twitch profile, is coming under fire for comments he made in a February 15 stream. In a clip shared by Twitter user and streamer ‘Frizzable’, KillaMfCam shouts “I’m going to break your f**king neck” “I killed this guy in Tarkov and then proceeded to tune into his stream to find him tell his son that he is going to ‘snap his neck’ if he didn’t leave the room,” he said. “Absolute scum… He banned me before I could even say GGs.” “I stuck around to see his temper tantrum, and watched this. Had to get a friend to help me download the VOD since I was banned.” https://twitter.com/Frizzable/status/1361765143252783104 The 26-year-old was visibly angry after dying during an Escape of Tarkov raid. While cussing out his enemy, he then turned his attention towards someone in the background of his stream. “Stop f**king sh*tting yourself dude. How hard is that? Jesus Christ man. God damn you stupid motherf**ker. I f**king hate you dude. Get the f**k out of my room bro. Get out. Go. Get the f**k out of my room. Get out. I’m gonna break your f**king neck dude,” he said. There is also screaming in the background as KillaMfCam starts yelling, as well as a couple of large thuds. Twitch has taken action against the streamer’s account hours after the clip started going viral, taking it off the platform. It’s unclear if the ban is permanent. Banned streamer responds The streamer has responded on Twitter, claiming that the clip was taken out of context, and that he was actually yelling at his dog. In another tweet, he wrote, “I can’t believe someone would edit a clip and slander me like that over banning them y’all are absurd as f**k and I ain’t hiding nothing my kid can vouch for me her damn self.” The Tweets are no longer available as the account has been removed from Twitter. https://twitter.com/campx911/status/1361981664302358538 Others have been trying to alert local law enforcement in Ohio, where the streamer lives according to his Twitter account, to the 26-year-old’s conduct. Dexerto has contacted Twitch for comment. Correction: This article originally reported that the streamer had a son. They actually have a daughter.

  • Twitch streamer banned after accidental game censorship fail – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after accidental game censorship fail YouTube: EEVisu / TwitchA Twitch streamer and esports caster has been banned from the platform after a game’s in-game censorship tool failed to work, and viewers got a little more than they bargained for. Many partnered Twitch streamers have faced temporary bans from the platform for various reasons in the past, and it’s not an irregular occurrence, but something like this must be particularly frustrating for the broadcaster. Through no real fault of his own, and having taken all the necessary precautions to prevent any issues, Phil ‘EE’ Visu found himself being penalized by Twitch after an in-game tool broke – and revealed a little too much of a character. Posting to Twitter late on March 20, Visu went into more detail on the unfortunate run of events. “Just got banned on Twitch because I played a game a viewer gave me that has censor nudity options and it didn’t censor a pair of [breasts],” he said before asking: “What is the point of the option?” Obviously, there’s no clip available of the mishap due to Twitch’s terms of service, but it definitely sounds like a monumental mistake made from whoever the original game developer is. Just got BANNED on TWITCH because I played a game a viewer gave me that has CENSOR NUDITY OPTIONS and it didn’t censor a pair of boobs… WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF THE OPTION ASSED OUTTA ESPORTS WORK CAUSE OF CORONA AND NOW TWITCH WHICH WAS HELPFUL INCOME? GOD DAMN IT SMFH — EE »★« (@EEvisu) March 20, 2020 You can definitely understand why Visu would be so annoyed by this ban, too. As mentioned in his tweet, with no esports work in the calendar for him, streaming on Twitch could have helped fill the gap and keep some money coming in while the ongoing global crisis continues to shut down events and communities. There will be countless members of the esports and gaming communities that will be affected by this sudden crisis, so they’ll be making sure they’re extra cautious now if they plan on making income from streaming. That said, given the fact that EE clearly didn’t intentionally forget to censor the game, Twitch might decide to revoke the ban if they look into it further.

  • Twitch streamer banned after appearing to hit cat during broadcast – Dexerto

Twitch streamer banned after appearing to hit cat during broadcast FiendishMora / UnsplashA Twitch streamer has come under intense criticism and been banned from the platform after appearing to strike his cat multiple times as a punishment during a live broadcast on Sunday, March 15. Petr Dolejší, who uses the alias ‘FiendishMora’ when creating content online, is regularly seen playing role-playing games, first-person shooters, and real-time simulators, and was broadcasting himself playing survival game Rust when the incident took place. The streamer faced immediate criticism from the online community, with the clip going viral on Reddit, while Twitch moved quickly to punish FiendishMora in the aftermath. While streaming on March 15, the Czech was loading into a server on the survival game when he became distracted by movement to the left of his screen. FiendishMora could be heard shouting “hey,” towards what was then revealed to be his cat, jumping out of his chair and chasing it around the room. The cat can be seen running across the room away from him, jumping into a cat tree and then running along a table, where the streamer was seemingly able to grab hold of the pet, appearing to strike the animal 12 times, before aggressively pointing his finger and speaking to it before moving towards it again as the clip ends. Warning, some viewers may find the footage distressing. The streamer immediately faced backlash following the incident, with the clip receiving 400 upvotes on Reddit as it became one of the top posts on /r/LivestreamFails, and hundreds of Reddit users took to the comments to blast him, and call on Twitch and the authorities to take action against him. “This makes me so angry. He hit that poor cat so hard,” wrote Quizk. “Someone should report him to the authorities in whatever country he is from. Disgusting coward. The fact that he does it on stream without even thinking twice makes me worried.” “Twitch needs to permanently ban, forever, any streamer that abuses an animal [during a broadcast],” wrote vee_lan_cleef, while UndeadMurky wrote that you should “never hit cats” as they “don’t understand” and will only scare them, and could cause behavioral disorders.” With many on Reddit and social media calling on Twitch to act swiftly, the Amazon-owned platform has banned the streamer, although there is currently no infirmation on whether it is permanent or a temporary suspension. Dexerto has reached out for confirmation. The Czech has yet to address his ban on social media, although some who claim to have watched the stream live state that he admitted what he did was wrong, and denied that he had abused the cat. FiendishMora also operates Mixer and YouTube accounts, which remain active at the time of writing.

  • Twitch streamer BadBunny responds to racism and homophobia allegations – Dexerto

Twitch streamer BadBunny responds to racism and homophobia allegations Popular Twitch streamer BadBunny has denied allegations of using racist and homophobic language on Discord, claiming that screenshots have been doctored. The streamer, who is fast approaching 100,000 followers on the platform, was first accused by fellow broadcaster Steven ‘Destiny‘ Bonell, who’s original post is no longer available as his Twitter account was suspended. His post included four screenshots, allegedly showing BadBunny’s Discord account writing various racist and homophobic messages, as well as mocking someone for being “autistic”. The streamer quickly denied that these screenshots were real, and accused Destiny of attempting to “smear” her. ok I’ve had it. These are literally forged. Actually you’re right, I don’t know if they’re entirely real, I knew the ‘Rem Doxxing’ wasn’t and defended you over that at the time because that was fake. But the rest of the stuff isn’t anything like you wouldn’t usually post on your Discord: pic.twitter.com/L4dsD1bOBV— Adam Dunas (@Dunebug6) October 18, 2019 BadBunny did not respond directly, but gave evidence that she claims prove the screenshots were faked, showing that another individual shown in the images was not present in the Discord server on the day in question. “Further proof these were doctored: my mod who was supposedly talking in the screenshots wasn’t speaking on August 25, 2019,” the streamer explained, and claims that she has never deleted her “past harmful takes”, for the sake of transparency. • Twitch streamer Axiun finally unbanned after 2-year suspension – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Axiun finally unbanned after 2-year suspension Twitch: AxiunPartnered Twitch streamer Axiun has been finally unbanned from the platform after a two-year suspension that started in 2019. Going back to TwitchCon 2019, popular Twitch streamer Axiun was caught sharing his pass with others to gain access to the venue. This prompted an indefinite ban from the platform, and two years later, the streamer has finally been unbanned from Twitch, with his account being reinstated. ✅ Twitch Partner “”AXIUN”” has been unbanned after 2 years, 2 days and 10 hours! ✅https://t.co/MftatlEZPK#twitch #unban #partner #twitchpartner 🍝 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) October 2, 2021 Why was Axiun banned? Axiun was originally banned at TwitchCon 2019 when a friend of the streamer was caught by security with his pass. Presumably, Axiun was lending his pass to others to gain access, which went against the rules. The streamer claimed that it was a huge misunderstanding and that the friend was just returning the pass to him as he lost it the night previously. Axiun called out the security team and Twitch for the unwarranted ban, before going back on his word admitting that he was lending out the pass to others. Back in June, Axiun made a plea to Twitch, where he once again profusely apologized to the platform for the TwitchCon incident, admitting to his mistakes, and publicly asking for another chance. “I have faced my punishment and have grown from it. I learned from my mistakes and am now asking for another chance. I hope one day they’ll give me a chance to redeem myself.” Regarding my twitch ban @twitchsupport Read: https://t.co/zQisqwAdpe — AXIUN (@Axiunn) June 30, 2021 The public request for another chance was met with no public response from Twitch, but fortunately for Axiun, he’s now free to once again broadcast on Twitch. Axiun is yet to acknowledge the lifting of his indefinite ban, but we should expect the streamer’s return soonish.

  • Streamer Axiun claims he was banned on Twitch for trash talking in Overwatch – Dexerto

Streamer Axiun claims he was banned on Twitch for trash talking in Overwatch Axiun / OverwatchPartnered Twitch streamer Axiun has been banned from the platform for 30 days, and claims that it’s simply because he made a rude comment to a player in Overwatch. Twitch has strict rules contained in their terms of service and community guidelines, which apply even more stringently to partnered broadcasters on their platform, including what they deem “engaging in hateful conduct.” For example, another Overwatch streamer, Fareeha Andersen was banned by Twitch back in February for hate speech, after calling South American players “shit” during a match. Axiun appears to have met a similar fate, although his language was not directed at a nationality or ethnicity, he claims, but rather simply a mean comment about another player’s mother. He explained in a discord chat that he received a notice from Twitch indicating that the temporary ban on his channel would last 30 days and claimed that it was for targeted hate speech which involved him calling another player “retarded as shit” and suggesting their mother should have drank during pregnancy. Axiun’s behavior on Twitch Axiun has been notorious for his wild behavior on Twitch and has often been considered as “toxic” while playing games on stream. Such behavior has even resulted in a clip of him snapping his keyboard in half while raging during a game of League of Legends. Axiun is best known among the Twitch streamer community for his hilarious interactions with Tyler1 as well as his feud with Greekgodx back in early July 2017 after the pair had been friends for quite a while. At the time of writing, Axiun has not yet made a statement to his followers or addressed his ban on social media.

  • Twitch streamer attempts ‘transcendence’ to improve CSGO skills – Dexerto

Twitch streamer attempts ‘transcendence’ to improve CSGO skills A Counter-Strike skills to the next level by “transcending,” but the talent-boosting strategy didn’t work out exactly as planned. SqueeX15 was grinding away at CSGO during his October 20 broadcast when his viewer-suggested music switched on to a calming meditation track. The streamer soon realized he had an opportunity to enter a zen state, potentially changing the way that he was playing Valve’s first-person shooter, and maybe even grabbing a few extra round-wins with his ‘transcendent’ energy. “Relaxing music for meditation and sleep,” the calmed CSGO star said of his new music choice. “Holy s***, we’re transcending. We’re transcending guys, it feels like sleep, but you’re transcending. This is transcendent gameplay.” As the soothing bars rolled out, the Twitch streamer seemed to lift with a renewed purpose, marching hopefully into the new round. Milliseconds later, Squee was obliterated with a single headshot off an entry frag, and was left shocked. “F*** man! I’m so over this s*** game dude! I cannot do this… cut the music! We’re playing new music,” he said, switching his stream track from the soothing tones of his ‘transcendence’ music to a hardcore track by German music group Lindemann. As the angry beats of ‘Ich weiß es nicht’ blared out across the next round, Squee decided that his soft-sided transcendent idea might not have been the best way to approach the CSGO grind, and changed his tune. “Are you guys happy, Is this what you want?” he asked, still fuming over his rapid-fire entry frag death from the early round. “Jesus dude. This is like that Joker movie now. Enough being completely obliterated in this game, time to mobilize my hatred.” Read more: Newly teased skins pay tribute to CSGO pros – Unfortunately for Squee, that new approach didn’t seem to work too well either, as he was eliminated without landing a shot in the next round too, potentially proving that going too far into calmness or hatred isn’t going to make you better at CSGO. The budding Twitch streamer isn’t the only Counter-Strike player to let his emotions play out during a round recently either, with pro players and broadcast stars alike experiencing a spectrum of emotions in Valve’s flagship shooter. Astralis superstar Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif let the smile shine after his insane play against Fnatic even shocked himself, while Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was left fuming after struggling to adapt to the game’s “confusing” keybinds.

Justketh is a popular Thai and French streamer known for their adventurous IRL streams, often walking around cities, eating at various restaurants, and interacting with her chat. While live in Bangkok, Keth was waiting out the rain when a sudden explosion on the street caused her to panic. She reacted to the bang saying, “Ah! I’m scared. Oh my God! Is that lightning?! Or is it a bomb?” Keth had her back to the street when it happened, causing her some brief panic as she couldn’t see what was happening. One commenter on a Reddit thread for the clip provided their expert analysis and said, “Electrical engineer here, that’s not good.” Luckily, she wasn’t harmed by the blast, and was only shaken up a bit. Since the downpour in Bangkok was harsh, she had wait it out in the very spot next to the explosion. Eventually, the rain subsided and she was able to carry on with her day as planned. Twitch streamer assaulted by roommate during live broadcast Cloudius777, Twitch / Asier Relampagoesstudio, FreepikTwitch has seen a slew of outrageous moments in its lifetime, including livestreamed vandalism, brawling, plus more – but one broadcast is inciting confusion across the internet due to a violent altercation. Twitch streamer ‘Cloudius777’ was in the middle of an Apex Legends broadcast when he caught a fight between his own mother and his roommate, who had appeared to take issue with their pet dog being let outside. According to the streamer, his roommate had allegedly swung at his face in response to the apparent offense, prompting Cloudius to start a stream and call his mother over to his home in hopes of dissipating the situation. Mama bear vs angry roommate However, such a resolution wasn’t meant to be; in fact, tensions only rose between the three parties, after the mother and roommate engaged in a heated argument that ended in an outright brawl. Cloudius spoke to his chat in the middle of their argument, prompting his roommate to angrily question if he were mocking him – leading him to throw an envelope at the streamer’s face, which saw his mother take a physical countermeasure against the roommate despite her need of a cane. “You touch him again, I’ll f*cking run you through!” the mother yelled as Cloudius tried to calm her. “We’re here live, folks,” Cloudius said to his stream. Viewers react to the livestreamed violence Cloudius’s plans of streaming in order to record his roommate’s violent behavior appeared to work out – although viewers couldn’t understand why the streamer was living with such a violent flatmate, whatsoever. Hyubsama has since been banned for the offense, and has yet to speak out on the matter publicly – as does Cloudius.

  • Twitch streamer attacked by drunk stepdad while live goes viral – Dexerto

Twitch streamer attacked by drunk stepdad while live goes viral Silky White/TwitchA clip of a Twitch streamer being attacked by his apparently intoxicated stepfather and fighting back has gone viral. When Twitch streamer Silky White went live on the site back in July 2020, he wasn’t expecting to have a clip of him fighting his stepdad caught on stream. It was deleted from Twitch to avoid breaking the platform’s Terms of Service. But the altercation was recorded by the internet, and has since resurfaced and gone viral on Reddit and other social media. After being accused of not having a job, Silky White insisted streaming was his job, which his stepdad called “masturbating in front of a green screen.” “Hell yeah I am, do whatever I want in front of this green screen, yeah that’s how that goes,” Silky replied, not taking any smack. “We pay you money, that’s how that goes, you’re drunk as s***t, shut up.” After telling his stepfather to go upstairs multiple times, the family member chose to charge at the streamer as he was sitting down in his gaming chair. Instead of getting the drop on him, the chair acted similar to a catapult, or ropes around a wrestling ring, rebounding Silky to be right back in his face for a punishing counter-attack. “Just to clarify, the stepson did rock his stepdads s**t and the stepfather was arrested,” a viewer in the comments chimed in. However, the streamer understandably says he doesn’t want to be defined by this one incident. I’m okay!!!… pride in my family is lost though. I’m sorry for everyone who found me this way! I just wanna stream and have fun with you guys but sometimes it’s hard… thank you all! — Silky White (@SilkySoWhite) July 15, 2020 “I just wanna stream and fun with you guys but sometimes it’s hard,” Silky said after the fight and before getting suspended for two weeks for breaking Twitch’s Terms of Service. He is back to streaming now though, usually featuring Call of Duty and Splitgate on his Twitch channel, with no on-stream fights since.

Twitch streamer Arab proves money can buy happiness by paying toddler $100 to stop crying Twitch: ArabWell-known IRL Twitch streamer ‘Arab’ has disproven the age-old adage “money can’t buy you happiness” by giving a crying toddler $100 to stem a toddler’s tears. ‘YourFellowArab’, better known as Arab, is a multi-platform content creator best known for his IRL streams. Like many other IRL streamers he has a habit of finding himself in sticky situations. IRL streaming brings both the good and bad out of people. Whether it’s a Tesla rolling up for an in-person donation, or catching a theft occur as it happens. This time, Arab has managed to do both when encountering a child loudly crying in Chicago’s Millennium Park. As the child’s tears interrupt Arab’s stream the kid shows his camera awareness by stumbling directly into frame. He opened up a light-hearted chat with him saying: “Hey bro we’re streaming. Loosen up ya know what I mean?” Taking no heed of his words the crying continues unabated. Arab then tries to outright bribe the kid into silence. “Will you stop crying if I give you a hundred bucks?” Funnily enough, the streamer achieved the silence he is after — after holding a crisp note out he is met with silence from the kid. The mom seemed in high spirits about the affairs, laughing out of frame and saying “he’s not gonna give you that 100 dollars though” before Arab refuses the attempt to give it back. “Congratulations, it’s yours! But he’s not allowed to cry.”

Twitch streamer AsianJeff silently roasted by mom after hitting 1 million followers Twitch: AsianJeffA Twitch streamer celebrating a big milestone brought their mother onto the stream only for her to be extremely unimpressed by the achievement. Big Twitch milestones have become a large part of streaming culture. Whenever a content creator approaches a big checkpoint, chances are they’ll stream the moment the tracker hits a new record and their instant reaction to it. Some of these streams have gone over the top, with creators such as IShowSpeed completely destroying their streaming setups just to celebrate the milestone. However, one recent celebration was a little more subdued. Streamer AsianJeff celebrates massive milestone with mother AsianJeff, who streams on Twitch and is known primarily for his Fortnite content, summoned his parent to watch as his SocialBlade recorded the final few subs he needed to break one million. When the follower count finally ticked over one million, the streamer said: “Mum, start crying. One million followers, mum. One million! that’s one million people following me. Are you happy?” Unmoved by the achievement, his mother instead watched the screen with a deadpan expression, before walking off without much fanfare. 1 million followers is quite a significant number; for context, the top streamer on the platform, Ninja, has almost twenty million followers. The incident initially took place on Jan 30, when the Australian streamer pulled up an image of Pokimane on his broadcast, rotated his camera around and made it look as if he was kissing it. When the ever-popular female streamer had heard about it and watched it on stream she just shook her head and moved her camera in turn, blocking the video of him with her hand. Afterward, she laughed it off and many expected that to be the end of it. However, almost two weeks later on Feb 11, Empirrre released a video and shared it on Twitter, apologizing to Pokimane and Twitch, as well as asking the streaming platform to look at his ban appeal. “I’ve been on Twitch for four to five years… it’s given me a sense of purpose, but recently I’ve found myself banned,” began the Aussie, before diving right into what had happened. “So, I made a clip, it was a joke that I set up involving a picture of Pokimane… I put up a picture of her and I kissed her butt. Shortly after I was banned for a day… [but] I went live the next day and was banned indefinitely.” https://twitter.com/Empirrretv/status/1227113782868004864 He then went on to give a heartfelt apology to everyone involved. “I’m sorry… I’m truly deeply f**king sorry if I have offended anybody. It’s been about seven days since I’ve streamed and I’m feeling it, all I have is streaming.” “All I wanted to do is make people laugh and now I’m banned… I literally don’t know what to do with myself” he continued, before finishing with a final request for Twitch to look at his ban appeal and one more apology. Neither Twitch nor Pokimane have responded to Empirrre so far, but fans of the Aussie streamer will be hoping for this to be resolved soon.

  • Twitch Streamer Apologizes After Saying Blind People Are Worthless in Bizarre Rant – Dexerto

Twitch Streamer Apologizes After Saying Blind People Are Worthless in Bizarre Rant A Twitch streamer has apologized after receiving significant backlash for a clip in which he calls blind people ‘worthless’, in what he claims was a poorly executed joke. Streamer ‘om3gapro’ was live on Twitch when he began explaining the difficulties blind people face in a very derogatory way, even comparing them to ‘invalids’ – people with severe mental disabilities. His most ridiculing comment was saying “if you’re blind, you’re f***ing worthless, that’s just big facts, I’m sorry to say it”. While om3gapro recognizes the harm and offensiveness of his comments, he has written an apology statement explaining the context which led to his rant, making clear that he does not actually think blind people are worthless. “Ok, I am the streamer showed in this clip and I feel like I should explain myself. Before I do that, I know that nothing I could say could erase the offense a lot of you took for the words that I spoke in this clipping, and for that I truly am sorry. Let me explain the context of this awful joke, not that it can change anything. We were debating on my stream as to what was worse, being blind or being deaf. To me, I thought the clear answer is that being blind was FAR worse than being deaf. In this clip here, you see me get fed up with people saying that being blind is better than being deaf, which then spawned this horrible clip. I deserve every bit of backlash and criticism I am receiving over this, I did not realize how much power my words actually have. On my stream, I am often times very hyperbolic and OVER OVER exaggerating a lot of what I say, which is what I did in this clip. I do not ACTUALLY think that blind people are worthless, I was merely using the absolute extremes to try to prove my point in a stupid, actually worthless debate that I had on my stream. Again, I deeply deeply apologize for my words.” The clip, which has since garnered thousands of views after being shared to Reddit and social media, can be viewed below. It contains strong language. It seems in an attempt to make his point that being blind is more detrimental than being deaf, om3gapro went somewhat overboard, leading to his very offensive comments. It is unclear if Twitch will take any action following the clip, which has now been removed from his channel.

  • Twitch streamer apologizes after admitting she faked cancer diagnosis – Dexerto

Twitch streamer apologizes after admitting she faked cancer diagnosis TwitchTwitch streamer MsDirtyBird has issued an apology, after falsely claiming she had cancer to her viewers. Kaw, known as MsDirtyBird to her followers, is a Rocket League streamer. The content creator has now offered a formal apology, for a second time. Over the last few months, followers have been tracking her developments. The claims were first acknowledged on a livestream with her sister. Allegations against MsDirtyBird Earlier this year, Kaw’s sister took to Twitch after receiving information of MsDirtyBird’s claims. “I wanted to address my sister’s stream today…her having cancer, I don’t think – she hasn’t said anything to any of us.” Expressing hurt over the comments, Kaw said “it hurts me that she has said this.” In the stream, she also mentions how “everyone in her chat still she thinks she has cancer.” The first mention of Kaw’s alleged diagnosis was in January, claiming to have brain cancer. Since then, more information has come to light, prompting the streamer to speak directly about the allegations. https://twitter.com/MaximusAemulus/status/1432049531877826563?s=20 In her initial apology, her speech was debunked to be an online template. After the backlash this attempt received, MsDirtyBird has since released an uncut, unedited apology video: “This is my official apology video, no cuts, no scripts, nothing”. https://twitter.com/MsDirtyBird91/status/1432436208894820352 “What I did was undeniably f**ked up and should have never happened,” Kaw said. The streamer has decided to take a break from streaming, which could last between “six months to a year.” Following her second apology, there are calls for Kaw to use her Twitch revenue for charity purposes, in aid of cancer research. I suggest taking all the profit you’ve gotten from your streams these last few days, and donate it to cancer research. Do charity work for those affected by cancer. Actions speak louder than words. https://t.co/I5FNTv60jy — catjeans (@catjeans) August 30, 2021 The now-former streamer has made no other comments since releasing her video apology.

  • Twitch streamer Anomaly banned for using Hitler skin in Minecraft – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Anomaly banned for using Hitler skin in Minecraft Instagram: AnomalyPopular Minecraft skin depicting Adolf Hitler during a broadcast. Anomaly is mainly a CS:GO streamer, but as the Minecraft craze sweeps the world once again thanks to YouTube stars like PewDiePie, the Swede decided he would jump on the popular sandbox game and give it a go himself. The streamer suffered an unfortunate incident when he went to his inventory in the game to check what materials he had, accidentally revealing an inappropriate skin that his character was wearing that was designed to look like Adolf Hitler. Following his error, Anomaly, who can see the funny side of what happened, immediately goes to change his skin, but it appears that this wasn’t enough to stop him from receiving a ban from Twitch. While the incident took place over seven days ago, it appears that Twitch have only now decided to ban him, much to his dismay. 600In a tweet posted on Monday, July 29, Anomaly confirmed that he had been banned because “[He] accidentally showed a Minecraft skin for less than two seconds,” and that his ban was set to last for 30 days. The Swede plans to appeal his suspension, stating that he believes that the length is “quite excessive,” and hopes that through appeal he will be able to get it reduced or overturned. It would appear I have been banned because I accidentally showed a Minecraft skin for less than 2 seconds. That sucks :-] I’ll try to appeal to Twitch because personally I believe that a 30 day suspension for this offense is quite excessive. pic.twitter.com/rwLPUquu9c — Anomaly (@anomalyxd) July 29, 2019 As for why he had the skin in the first place, the streamer stated that he had the skin because they planned to film a skit called “Meinkraft,” but forgot to change back to his normal skin. Whether Anomaly’s appeal will be successful remains to be seen, but with Hasan Piker able to convince Twitch to shorten the length of his ban for using his phone while in the car, it may give him so hope that he may be back on Twitch sooner rather than later. Should he serve his full 30 day ban, he won’t be able to return to the popular streaming platform until Wednesday, August 28. Dexerto have reached out to Anomaly for comment on the matter.

  • Twitch streamer apologizes after argument with his mom gets physical – Dexerto

Twitch streamer apologizes after argument with his mom gets physical yyedge, TwitchA small-time Twitch streamer has taken to social media with an apology after a heated argument with his mother took a turn for the worse. Although Twitch is often touted for the unexpected moments that get caught on camera, one young Fortnite streamer’s broadcast takes the proverbial cake of unanticipated things that viewers stumble upon online. Rather than scoring some sick dubs, though, the Fortnite player was engaged in a screaming match with his mother, following what seems to be a three-day stint of playing the ever-popular battle royale game. Although it’s unclear what’s being argued about in the beginning of a clip from his now-deleted VOD, it appears as though his mother wants to see something on screen, which the streamer refuses to show her. “Ryan!” his mother pleads, exasperated, before the screen goes black and the room gets dark, as though she unplugged something. “I’ll punch you in the throat, r***rd,” the streamer, going by the screename “yyedge” threatened in retaliation. That wasn’t the worst of it: he went on to seemingly kick his mother, leading to her expletive-infused response. “Oh my f**king god!” she yelled. “You are not on there for two days! Two days! Yes, you just f**ked yourself.” A viewer posted the disturbing clip to Reddit, leading to a swath of concern online over the incident and shock that the youngster hadn’t been banned over the altercation. However, it doesn’t look like the clip escaped yyedge’s notice, as he took to Twitter with an apology post on January 15, admitting that he was in the wrong and claiming that the argument wasn’t supposed to be broadcast online. “Ok, what I did was wrong,” he admitted. “…What I’ve learned from it is that I really do need to work on my anger issues and control my actions. We both talked about what happened, and we both agreed to go see someone and get our relationship back on track.” In spite of the disturbing altercation, it looks like both yyedge and his mother are working on rekindling their relationship, giving an unhappy story a heartwarming ending.

  • Twitch streamer allegedly banned after medical term search goes wrong [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Twitch streamer allegedly banned after medical term search goes wrong [UPDATED] Twitch: h2_gucio / PixabayUPDATE August 28 4:05pm PST h2_gucio has been unbanned on Twitch as of August 28. During a Twitch broadcast on August 26, Polish streamer ‘h2_gucio’ was browsing Wikipedia to look up a medical term when he was suddenly banned from the platform. Twitch has had its fair share of controversies in 2019, that has left many feeling like the streaming platform has been unfair in how it enforces its rules and issues bans. On August 26, a Polish streamer by the name of ‘h2_gucio’ was browsing Wikipedia during his broadcast, and was banned almost instantly after a medical photo popped up – though it isn’t confirmed to be the reason why. Banned after looking at Wikipedia The Polish streamer was reacting to infomercials for his audience when he came across one that mentioned baby powder. Seeing as English isn’t his first language, he didn’t understand what it was so he turned to Google for the answers. Upon reaching the Wikipedia page for the baby powder, the streamer looked at the definition which explained that it is used to prevent diaper rash. The term was hyperlinked to another page, so wondering what that was, he clicked it. After clicking the link, a medical photo of a baby’s bottom popped up,which showed what diaper rash looks like in real life. The photo startled the streamer who did not expect such a brash image. The photo was only shown on stream for less than a second as h2_gucio screamed and immediately closed out of the page as quickly as possible, looking visibly surprised by what was shown. Shortly after, his channel was banned by Twitch. This isn’t confirmed as the reason why, but the photo could have been seen as a violation of Community Guidelines. Not the first time Twitch has taken issue with medical ‘nudity’ Twitch has clashed with users over medical ‘nudity’ before. On July 24 Twitch partner ‘HeatheredEffect’ breastfed her baby on stream, and the clip was removed after having over 20k views. The streamer called out the platform, who later reversed the decision, and stated that they would now allow breastfeeding on broadcasts. WE DID IT!:breast_feeding::skin-tone-2:@Twitch just confirmed what we were saying all along—breastfeeding is NOT sexual & it is NOT against ToS. Moral of the story: Never back down for the things you believe in regardless of the backlash you receive. You can make a difference!#normalizebreastfeeding pic.twitter.com/MvvbiZgwjo — HeatheredEffect on Twitch & YouTube! (@HeatheredEffect) August 1, 2019 Although it’s unclear how long the ban will be for, breaking Community Guidelines can result in suspensions ranging from 24 hours up to 30 days. • Twitch streamer “almost stabbed” while filming himself before TwitchCon – Dexerto

Twitch streamer “almost stabbed” while filming himself before TwitchCon CoconutSenpai, Twitter / PixabayA Apex Legends and popular card game Yu-Gi-Oh!, was walking the streets of San Diego armed with his live camera when he was approached by a stranger in the streets. The man, who CoconutSenpai described as “homeless,” seemed to attempt to attack the surprised streamer, who initially thought the man was just asking to take a picture. Instead, the man seemed to rush towards him yelling, before there was a short scuffle and the sound of something metal – a knife, according to the streamer – clattering to the ground. “Picture?” the streamer asked, and the man off-screen in the video seemed to be heard yelling “No! No picture bitch, no picture,” moments before knocking into the phone. I’m pretty sure I almost got stabbed by a homeless person just for filming myself out on the streets of San Diego. He was going to stab me. Oh my god…” the streamer said, potentially still trying to process what he had just captured on video. The Twitch gamer clearly collected his thoughts enough to share the footage to Twitter, and used his scary moment as a warning for everyone else that would be arriving or had already arrived in San Diego ahead of the massive TwitchCon event. Not all IRL interactions are that scary, however. One streamer was simply awkwardly rejected by someone who he asked out, while Korean streamer ‘HAchubby’ had a hilarious moment at the zoo where she bumped into another group of people live on Twitch at the same time.

  • Twitch streamer allegedly banned for making fun of popular IRL streamer Amouranth – Dexerto

Twitch streamer allegedly banned for making fun of popular IRL streamer Amouranth ‘Stocks and Bonds’ streamer ‘TheStockGuy’ has been banned from Twitch as of November 9, and fans suspect that this development may have been due to him making fun of popular IRL streamer ‘Amouranth’ during a previous broadcast. TheStockGuy went live in a stream on November 8, during which he created mock cleavage to mimic Amouranth. “What’s that chick who always does this?” he asked his audience. “Amouranth, or whatever her name is? …I could make millions off of that, baby.” He has since been banned from the platform, and his fans are blaming this punishment on what they call his ‘cosplay’ of Amouranth. “TheStockGuy Banned After ‘Amouranth Cosplay,’ and now his account is gone,” one Reddit post said of the debacle. Not every commenter was in agreement, though, as one user couldn’t fathom that TheStockGuy would be banned for such a joke. “It’s because for the harassment policy in the TOS,” another user answered. “Can’t talk shit about other streamers.” However, audiences have likewise suspected that the ban may have arisen due to TheStockGuy’s prank call to gaming development company Activision, citing Twitch’s stern actions against pranksters in past debacles. streamer was accused of faking her relationship to fans in late June of 2018, and claimed that she had even been doxxed because of the scandal. Neither Amouranth nor TheStockGuy have yet to make a definitive statement as to the reason for the ban.

Twitch streamer Alinity takes shots at Pokimane for demonetizing videos Alinity, Twitch / Pokimane, TwitterPopular Twitch streamer Alinity Divine took shots at fellow streamer Pokimane, after being accused of earning money by demonetizing videos on YouTube. Alinity received an accusatory comment in her chat during an Apex Legends stream from a user named ‘Steflan,’ which read, “Isn’t this the chick who earns money on other people’s content by demonetizing/claiming their videos?” “No, Steflan, that would be Pokimane,” Alinity replied – although she appeared to immediately regret her words. “I probably shouldn’t have said that,” she continued. “Oh, damn.” copy striking smaller YouTube channels for using her content in a “non-transformative manner.” “I will take down videos – when it’s a straight reupload of my stream, and when it’s like a gross and misleading title,” Pokimane said of the issue. However, Alinity herself was also part of a similar debacle, after copy striking YouTube king PewDiePie’s eye-tracking video in May 2018 for using the phrase “Twitch thot” in reference to her stream. Alinity’s comments may have also been directed towards Pokimane’s statement on problematic female streamers the day prior, whom she asked to place their hatred elsewhere, rather than hate on other women. if you’re a female streamer that actively and exclusively hates on other female streamers, I strongly suggest picking up a hobby lmao. That type of attitude isn’t gonna get you anywhere good. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 24, 2019 “If you’re a female streamer that actively and exclusively hates on other female streamers, I strongly suggest picking up a hobby lmao,” Pokimane tweeted. “That type of attitude isn’t gonna get you anywhere good.” Pokimane has yet to respond to Alinity’s statement as of February 24.

  • Twitch Streamer Alinity Copyright Strikes More YouTube Videos of Her Following PewDiePie Incident – Dexerto

Twitch Streamer Alinity Copyright Strikes More YouTube Videos of Her Following PewDiePie Incident Alinity / PewDiePiePopular Twitch streamer ‘Alinity’ recently attempted to copyright strike the most subscribed YouTuber, PewDiePie, after he used he called her a “thot”, and she hasn’t stopped there. The video in question from PewDiePie remains live, so as far as we can tell her attempted strike was unsuccessful, but it turns out that it was not only PewDiePie’s video which Alinity targeted. Shortly after the news spread of Alinity copyright strike witch hunt broke, numerous channels, a lot smaller than PewDiePie’s, received claims on their own videos – many of which simply reporting on the situation. This was picked up by YouTube ‘news’ channel Scarce, who reported that a number of small channels had reported to him that claims were being made on their videos – manually by Alinity’s agency. Scarce shows one such example, from a YouTube channel called ‘L of The Day’, which Alinity manually claimed, and as such is now receiving any ad revenue from. @JohnScarce Alinity actually is manually striking all videos of her pic.twitter.com/pkksl2IiUk — Twitch Thots Copy Strike Me (@xTheFamousKingx) May 14, 2018 As Scarce explains, for many small channels it is much harder to fight back against copyright claims of this kind, as YouTube will often not intervene given the large volume of strikes made daily. It is unclear whether or not the copyright claims are justified, as fair use on YouTube does allow for satirical and reaction based commentary and critical discussion of other peoples content. These videos simply report on the incident between Alinity and PewDiePie, therefore presumably would fall under fair use. You can watch Scarce’s video explaining the copyright claims for a YouTuber’s perspective below, starting at around the 2:16 minute mark.

  • Twitch streamer aielieen1 banned after explicit stream goes viral – Dexerto

Twitch streamer aielieen1 banned after explicit stream goes viral Twitch: aieleen1A Twitch channel, named ‘aielieen1’, was quickly permanently banned from the platform, after the creator shared footage of a woman engaged in an adult act. A common issue on Twitch, as any new channel can immediately begin streaming, the account was brand new on November 3, and obviously created for the sole purpose of broadcasting the explicit material before copping a ban. Like most of these Twitch streams, this channel, aielieen1 only managed to accrue a few hundred viewers before being banned. However, due to a viral Reddit post falsely claiming the stream had 5,000 viewers, the clip spread fast. The Reddit post claimed “this girl masturbating in front of 5k+ viewers rn” – despite the stream actually peaking at only 310 viewers. Various Twitter posts also repeated the claim that the channel reached 5,000 viewers. It’s likely that the whole situation was set up in order to promote aielieen1’s other social media pages, such as Instagram and Twitter, as the Reddit poster shared their usernames also. It would not be the first time that an adult creator has used the Twitch platform in this way. By setting up a new account, fully expecting the ban, if the clip can go viral, it can push people towards their other accounts on other platforms. How long is aielieen1 banned from Twitch? Although Twitch has not confirmed the length of the ban, it almost certainly permanent. Brand new accounts that immediately violate the community guidelines are typically banned permanently, to prevent further misuse of the platform. The channel now simply states that unless you have a time machine, that content no longer exists. Channels that are instead temporarily banned, now state that the channel is ‘temporarily unavailable.’ This incident also comes only a few weeks after a streamer broadcasted themselves having sex on stream, for which they were banned for seven days, a punishment that many deemed too light. Part of Twitch’s appeal is that anyone can setup an account and begin streaming right away – but, such freedom can also result in situations like this.

  • Twitch streamer Aircool banned after showing Social Gloves event on-stream – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Aircool banned after showing Social Gloves event on-stream Twitch streamer Aircool has been banned from the platform for showing Austin McBroom’s Social Gloves event on-stream. With almost a million followers on the platform, Twitch streamer Aircool blew up in popularity streaming Fortnite during the game’s peak. Today, he’s grown a huge audience for his wild and bizarre IRL streams, where viewers have absolutely no idea what could happen next. However, he’s now been hit by Twitch’s ban hammer after showing a glimpse of the Social Gloves: No More Talk boxing event. Aircool banned off Twitch after showing Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib fight During his September 10 stream, with his live stream setup in his backpack, the Twitch star headed to the Banc of California Stadium to watch Austin McBroom’s Social Gloves event to enjoy some influencer boxing. However, Aircool made a huge mistake, as he showed his viewers one of the fights during the event which resulted in a ban for the streamer. As it stands, heading to his Twitch page will give you a message stating his channel was removed at the request of the copyright holder. According to the streamer, the ban is only 48 hours. “Chat we got a 48hr,” he explained in a tweet. “I was trying to provide more content to this event.” Furthermore, he explained how he actually snuck into the event for free, as he didn’t even have a ticket. In a follow-up message to his viewers, the streamer tweeted “Free Aircool”, which some of his passionate fans came to his defense claiming he didn’t even record the fight. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely he’ll be unbanned early by Twitch, but at least he’ll be back on the platform pretty soon, with the ban only expected to last 48 hours.

  • Twitch streamer Adamcy banned over homophobic slur – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Adamcy banned over homophobic slur AdamcyTwitch streamer Adamcy has been banned from the streaming platform after making homophobic remarks during a recent broadcast. Streamers on Twitch find themselves suspended from the platform for a variety of reasons, and while most of the time the platform will unban them within a day or so, others can find themselves serving long bans of a month, a year, or even a permanent suspension. When Polish streamer Adamcy’s Twitch channel was been suspended for the sixth time on November 14, many of his viewers and fans have been wondering how long the punishment will last from the Amazon-owned platform, leaving the future of his channel a bit hazy. Adamcy banned from Twitch According to StreamerBans, this is Adamcy’s first time being banned since he was unbanned from the website on September 16, 2021, after he served a 10-month suspension. His latest ban came after he broadcasted live from an event with tons of friends on November 12 when fellow influencers and random people wanted to join in on the stream. Some of the people who appeared on the stream used a homophobic slur, which is likely what caused the suspension. Adamcy’s first ban tracks all the way back to July 2019 when he served his first ban. Since then, his ban lengths have ranged from one day to nearly an entire year. We will update this article accordingly as new information is revealed regarding his ban, and what we can expect him to be unbanned. As of now, it is now known how long his suspension will last.

  • Twitch streamer Adin Ross starts boxing career by challenging YouTuber FlightReacts – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Adin Ross starts boxing career by challenging YouTuber FlightReacts Instagram, @adinross / Twitter, @Flight23WhiteAs celebrity boxing continues to take over the entertainment industry, Twitch streamer and NBA 2K YouTuber Adin Ross has entered the ring — with an official challenge to fellow influencer FlightReacts. It has already been a bumping year for Adin Ross, who went from renowned NBA 2K YouTuber to one of Twitch’s biggest stars. But the streamer is apparently not satisfied simply flexing his clout, as Ross announced he wants to start bumping and bruising as a boxer. When stopped airing in 2002, many thought the days of watching big names brutalize one another were over. But, spurred by the Paul brothers’ shenanigans, celebrities have moved from claymation to decemation and are happily beating each other up for big bags and bigger crowds. A fan of the celebrity boxing matches, Ross has already bet $10K that Bryce Hall will beat up Austin McBroom during their bout. Now, he wants to get active himself, as he’s announced the start of his boxing career and challenged a fellow 2K creator. It’s official. I’m gonna start boxing. 2022 will be my first match, @Flight23White I challenge you, let’s box! 2 successful creators from the 2K community … let’s do it for the ppl and donate parts of proceeds to charity. U in flight? — adin (@adinross) May 18, 2021 Gamers beating up gamers, YouTubers beating up YouTubers, and, most importantly, it could benefit charity? Adin says his first match will be in 2022 and he’s hoping it will be against Flight, aka FlightReacts aka Flight23White, with “parts of proceeds” going to charity. Adin is no stranger to threats of violence, especially considering recent drama surrounding him and Floridian rappers he offended. Maybe those online death threats made him want to work on his physique and get in the gym? No one can know for sure, but what is known is that Adin is giving himself enough time to hit the bags and the weight room by promising that his first fight won’t happen for another seven months — at least. But, no matter how long Adin trains, Flight doesn’t seem too concerned. While Flight dropped a casual “lol” in response to Adin’s challenge, the YouTuber-turned-streamer seems unfazed. He followed his original tweet up with a new, universal challenge — as well as some demonstration of his…unique training regimen. https://twitter.com/adinross/status/1395129871668453377 Look, we’re not here to judge the start of Adin’s boxing career. Some say the ends justify the means, so we’ll just all have to wait until 2022 to find out if rainbow-colored training equipment is the key to success. Whether it’s Flight or some other celebrity, fans are already primed for the boxing world to gain a new member. No word yet on whether or not his official ring name will be “Adin ‘Sus’ Ross,” but we’ll keep eager viewers up to date as more information becomes available.

  • Twitch streamer accused of “obviously aimbotting” in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Twitch streamer accused of “obviously aimbotting” in Apex Legends RespawnA number of Apex Legends players and Twitch viewers are fiercely debating whether one streamer is using “obvious” aim hacks during his broadcasts or not. Apex Legends released back on February 4 to much acclaim as Respawn Entertainment took their Titanfall universe and put a battle royale spin on things. The game was an immediate success, racking up 50 million players inside the first month. However, with such a huge player base and the game drawing massive attention on Twitch, some players have opted to hack in a bid to get a leg up. Respawn have already banned an eye-watering amount of players, but new cheats still pop up and slip under the radar. Cheaters can regularly found with exploits like wall-hacks and aimbots, which clearly gives them a massive advantage. Twitch streamer bjerrehusdk is now being accused of joining that long list of cheaters as some viewers accused him of utilizing an exploit. Viewers noticed something strange about his June 4 stream, as bjerrehusdk hit long-range shots with such incredible accuracy that it would put him on par with top players like NRG’s Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows. It wasn’t just one instance that sent the alarm bells ringing, though. The streamer carried on his incredible accuracy during a gunfight in the Bridge Valley area – tracking players movements with pinpoint precision. *Clip deleted* As clips of evidence began to pile up against the streamer, he responded with thinly veiled sarcasm when one viewer asked him to share his hack: “I can’t give you the name of my hack, sorry guys.” He added: “I’m not sharing,” before a voice in the background, perhaps one of his in-game teammates, jokingly offered to share their hack with players. *Clip deleted* Redditors debate cheating or not cheating Some members of the LivestreamFails subreddit, which amasses clips from Twitch, accused the streamer of “obviously aimbotting” when the highlights came to their attention. One Redditor made a plea to the livestreaming platform, commenting: “Hey twitch staff! We know you lurk this sub. Ban this obvious cheater.” Another poster, beliving the player was hacking, questioned why streamers choose to stream with hacks. “Why would he stream that? What is the thought process?” they added. However, it wasn’t all negative for the streamer as some commenters jumped to his defense. User intoss kicked off a long paragraph of support by posting: “I came into this clip expecting blatant cheats, but honestly after watching and rewatching plenty of times, it just looks like a good player.” Another poster, /u/TehICii, added to the defensive stance, stating: “Came here to say exactly this. This guy is not “obviously” aimbotting,” before explaining that they’ve hit similar shots despite not being a “good player.” Will bjerrehusdk be banned from Twitch or Apex Legends? As of writing on June 6, bjerrehusdk’s Twitch channel remains active. Hacking on stream is against Twitch’s terms of use, so if the platform investigates the matter and deems the streamer guilty of aimbotting, he will likely face a lengthy suspension. However, with no concrete evidence to suggest that the player is anything less than a skilled aimer, it seems unlikely that his channel will face any bans, temporary or permanent, for the time being. Respawn are constantly detecting new cheats so anyone that is hacking runs the risk of having their Apex Legends account shut down.

Twitch streamer accused of faking stalker for attention Instagram: azra_liftsTwitch streamer AZRA is being accused of faking a stalker to promote her Twitch channel, after posting a picture of a man peering through her window while she’s on stream. Putting your life on the internet naturally comes with a fair few risks for streamers. The more popular they get, the more at risk they are of having people try to find them, or send them hate, regardless of how many people there are that truly like them. Stalking is a very real, and serious problem, particularly for female streamers who frequently end up as targets in these situations. Streamers have had to go silent online to protect themselves and their mental health after having terrifying experiences with stalkers. It’s an extremely worrying situation for streamers and fans alike, so naturally, when AZRA posted a concerning image of a man peering through her window while she was on stream, people were immediately worried for her wellbeing. Along with the screencap, she wrote that the “craziest thing happened on stream. I thought my chat was trolling. Still don’t know who this man is but he has been watching me through my window.” Fans, and others who had stumbled upon the post, immediately expressed their concern. “This is f***ing terrifying, I’m so sorry,” one said, with another writing, “no f***ing way, please put curtains up AZRA.” Some believe the image was staged However, soon after posting the image to her Twitter account, she replied to her own post with a link to her Twitch channel. For some, this suggested that the image could have been faked in an attempt to bring more attention to her Twitch. “She plugged her Twitch after she tweeted this, obviously planned,” one commenter said. Another theorized that “this is her friend.. she told him to be there so people would notice him and this would create a big story,” with someone else adding that it “makes sense considering she decided to plug her Twitch on the comments.” Makes sense considering she decided to plug her twitch on the comments 🥱 — Jacob Donaldson (@jacobcdonaldson) February 3, 2021 AZRA’s VODs are available to subscribers only, meaning it’s difficult to discern what the circumstances of the screenshot were. Many of her fans and other concerned people who found the post are hoping for the image to be fake, because if the image wasn’t staged, it means that AZRA could be in serious danger.

  • Twitch streamer 88bitmusic has the most elaborate donation alert ever – Dexerto

Twitch streamer 88bitmusic has the most elaborate donation alert ever Donation alerts on Twitch are common with any streamer, but 88bitmusic blows everyone else out of the water with his extremely elaborate one. Many streamers on Twitch, Mixer, or whatever platform they stream on have some sort of noise that plays to signify a donation. For most, it’ll just be a short alert, but 88bitmusic mixed it up a bit and had a prolonged one that played an entire song and pretty much took over the stream for several minutes. A donation was triggered that began with a gorilla punching a hole through the side of his stream, which is when he let the chat know he was just going to sit back and let this one play out. Soon after that, a cover of ‘Africa’ by Toto began playing and a series of graphics overlayed over his screen. It was probably like nothing anybody in the chat had ever seen before. It’s easily one of the lengthiest and most elaborate donation alerts we’ve seen on Twitch, and it’s also one of the most impressive. Alerts like this are always fun to watch as a viewer, but can quickly grow to be annoying if it’s abused, which is why many streamers will make their lengthy alerts locked behind a high paywall. We can go on and on about this nearly 4-minute alert, but it’ll be a lot easier to just watch for yourself and see what the fuss is about. Watch THE BEST DONATION ALERT ON TWITCH from 88bitmusic on www.twitch.tvAs for his channel, 88bitmusic is a streamer who will take requests from the chat to play music. He explains in his bio that he will take requests from every $5 donation or 500 bits from the large song list he provides. Sometimes he will see a request from the chat and play it, no donation required. 88bitmusic boasts over 31,000 followers on Twitch, which is extremely impressive when you consider the majority of Twitch content revolves around video games.

  • Twitch stream goes viral after elephant reveals its “fifth leg” – Dexerto

Twitch stream goes viral after elephant reveals its “fifth leg” PixabayA Twitch clip involving two elephants on a road, with one of them sporting an elusive “fifth leg” has gone viral and viewers are in awe. With Twitch allowing for more than just video games to be streamed on their platform, viewers really don’t know what they’re getting into on any given day. The Just Chatting section of the platform has been growing rapidly, so it’s fair to say that a lot of viewers do go to Twitch to look at things other than video games – in this case, elephants. Twitch channel “ourWildEarth” caught a glimpse of a couple of elephants blocking the path of their vehicle during a safari trip, which forced them to stop and start examining the two animals, explaining to the viewers what was going on. “You can see that the male is in the front, which is the one that we saw just now mud wallowing on the road, and he’s now got his genitals out which makes him a 5-legged animal,” said the safari guide. It’s no secret that elephants are blessed when it comes to their anatomy, but it’s not very often you see it on full display out in the wild or, indeed, on Twitch. The streamer, on the other hand, is obviously a seasoned veteran when it comes to things of this nature as he was able to give the play-by-play without letting out even as much as a chuckle. Obviously, the chat wasn’t used to this and reacted accordingly, with many “LUL” emotes being spammed. The elephant didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary other than just letting things hang, and it definitely had no idea chat was about to roast it. As for the Twitch channel, ourWildEarth is sporting just under 5,000 followers at the time of writing while the clip has been viewed over 60,000 times, with viewers taking a liking to the well-endowed elephant. If incidents like this keep on happening, we imagine that ourWildEarth’s following will absolutely skyrocket.

  • Twitch streamer 39daph apologizes for anti-white racism in Twitter post – Dexerto

Twitch streamer 39daph apologizes for anti-white racism in Twitter post Instagram: 39daphTwitch streamer 39daph has apologized for anti-white racism after comments she made in her offline chat went viral that included the use of racial slurs. At the beginning of 2022, multiple chat logs showed 39daph using racial slurs in her offline Twitch chat begun making their way around the internet. In a Twitlonger posted on February 22, 39daph pointed out a few things she spotted that were wrong with the chat logs. She also admitted that she was wrong for using the racial slurs, and apologized to anybody she hurt by using them. 39daph apologizes for use of racial slurs on Twitch In the message, 39daph explained that she was ignorant of the meanings of the words she used, and thought that they weren’t offensive a the time. “I thought wrongly it was fine to poke fun at because I believed white people were privileged and do not face systemic racism, and the discrimination from these slurs was just a bad jab,” she said. Daph also mentioned that the initial chat log that was spread around the community was edited to make it look like she was directly calling somebody a slur. “A few things I’d like to address in the logs, the timestamps appear rearranged and cut out of context to look like I was calling someone a slur, but I was not,” she said. “I was answering someone’s question “what is the c-word”, and enumerating slurs from this screenshot of made-up slurs I thought sounded ridiculous.” Ending the message, she apologized for the comments made during that time and that she “will not be using that kind of language.”

  • Twitch still dominates livestreaming despite mass YouTube Gaming investment – Dexerto

Twitch still dominates livestreaming despite mass YouTube Gaming investment Twitch/Facebook/YouTubeNew reports are out that show just how much Twitch continues to dominate the livestreaming space, despite huge investments from rivals such as YouTube and Facebook Gaming. Twitch has long been the go-to for streamers both new and established. It’s commonly seen as the original livestreaming platform and is built entirely around live creators and discovering your favorite streamers. Throughout recent years, though, there has been growing pressure from rival platforms. The two biggest — YouTube Gaming and Facebook Gaming — have made big-money offers to some top Twitch streamers across multiple genres to coax them away. We’ve seen names like TimTheTatman, Ludwig, DisguisedToast, and Dr Disrespect wind up on rival platforms over time (though Toast eventually made his way back), but by the looks of it, it’s not having quite as much impact as intended. Twitch viewership eclipses YouTube & Facebook While each platform has its merits and redeeming factors, in viewership alone, neither really hold much of a candle to Twitch at all. As shown in the graph below from StreamHatchet, Twitch accounted for around 71% of total streaming hours in 2021. It averaged out to around 6 billion hours watched per quarter of 2021, while YouTube and Facebook both hovered around 1.1-1.3bn per quarter. Interestingly, though, YouTube was the only platform to show a decrease in viewership year-on-year, between Q2-Q4. Twitch streamers remain on top Not only that, but all of the top 10 most viewed streamers were on Twitch, too. Despite the big names on YouTube, none of them were able to collate as much viewership as Twitch’s top stars. xQc led the way, to the surprise of nobody, with 272m hours watched — miles ahead of second-place Gaules, who accrued 165m hours watched. While there was no question of Twitch’s dominance over the livestreaming space, these stats prove just how much of a grip they still have on both streamers and viewers. In 2022, YouTube and Facebook will be looking to find the best ways to decrease this gap as much as possible.

  • Twitch stops payments to Russian streamers due to sanctions – Dexerto

Twitch stops payments to Russian streamers due to sanctions TwitchRussian Twitch streamers have claimed that they’re unable to be paid out earnings from their broadcasts as sanctions are imposed following the country’s invasion of Ukraine. Russian companies, billionaires, sportspeople, and now even influencers are feeling the effects of the growing problems between Russia and Ukraine. Earlier in March 2022, Twitch streamer Mira claimed that the Amazon-owned platform were “looking for a reason to ban her” due to her Russian heritage. Just days later, Russian streamers are claiming that they can’t get paid due to sanctions. They have reportedly started to receive emails confirming that payment to their accounts has been blocked, according to the Washington Post. In line with the sanctions imposed on Russia, Twitch is restricting payments being issued to streamers in Russia “we will do everything possible to pay the income you have earned as soon as we are allowed to do so” pic.twitter.com/Qnx821rBXe — Hunter (@HUN2R) March 5, 2022 “Payouts to the financial institution associated with your Twitch account have been blocked as a result of sanctions,” the email reportedly said. “Twitch complies with economic sanctions imposed by the United States and other governments and is complying with those imposed in response to the situation in Ukraine. “These sanctions may limit or impact your access to payouts, ability to monetize your stream, and/or financially support other creators.” The email went on to add that “we will do our best to pay you revenue you have earned as soon as we are permitted to do so.” “I have been blocked from payments from Twitch, many advertisers have left the Russian market and my Visa and Mastercard cards will soon be blocked abroad,” said Alexey ‘Jesus AVGN’ Gubanov, who moved from Russia to the US. It’s unclear what exactly will happen down the line, but the email from Twitch does add that “we appreciate how frustrating and difficult this is and would like to reassure you that if you can’t provide an alternative financial institution, we will do our best to pay you revenue you have earned as soon as we are permitted to do so.”

  • Twitch stats have been decimated by ‘A Day Off Twitch’ boycott – Dexerto

Twitch stats have been decimated by ‘A Day Off Twitch’ boycott TwitchViewers have started to boycottt Twitch in large numbers after an online campaign to ditch the site dubbed ‘A Day Off Twitch’ went viral. The protests come during a very difficult time for the website, with ‘hate raids’ proving to be a lightning rod in the community. These have led to some streamers being overwhelmed with abusive and sometimes racist language. Players have been calling for swift and strong action against these, despite repeated responses from Twitch chiefs that action will soon be taken to prevent them. In their latest attempt to force faster changes on the platform, a boycott has been organized and it’s fair to say it is hitting viewership hard. Twitch stats from ‘A Day Off Twitch’ boycott The full extent of the damage may not yet be on record, but early signs show that Twitch was taking one hell of a hit on September 1. As seen in a tweet from Zach Bussey, preliminary data shows up to 5,000 few streamers were online at the time of writing. He said: “According to charts from TwitchTracker, there are *currently* about 5000 fewer streamers live right now than last week and ~500,000 fewer viewers. (That’s a significant drop.)” Very preliminary data on #ADayOffTwitch But according to charts from @TwitchTracker_, there are *currently* about 5000 fewer streamers live right now than last week and ~500,000 fewer viewers. (That’s a significant drop.)#TwitchNews pic.twitter.com/NvZfkkMea6 — Zach Bussey (@zachbussey) September 1, 2021 While the online walkout is expected to last just one day, there are a number of other factors that may impact the platform’s viewership. During ‘A Day Off Twitch,’ the unfortunately timed exit of one of Twitch’s biggest streamers – TimTheTatman – was confirmed. This news came just a day after his friend DrLupo joined the likes of Dr Disrespect, Valkyrae, CouRage and others in the club of exclusive YouTube Gaming contracts. Bussey went on to state that there were around 12,000 fewer streamers online during the day, compared to the week before. The tracker also states views for the day were at 3.5 million, compared to 4.5 million the week before (typo in the tweet below). As for the total number of streamers… There are about 119,000 live right now. That’s down 12,000 from this time last week, and down about 13,000 two weeks ago. pic.twitter.com/kySubZTy1t— Zach Bussey (@zachbussey) September 1, 2021 While the early post-mortem suggests that streamers leaving Twitch may have a lot to do with some live viewership statistics, there’s certainly been a dropoff in smaller streamers too. Whether or not these figures will bounce back post-protest remains to be seen, but if the desired effect was to have thousands of people go dark – the boycott has certainly worked, no matter which way you slice it. We will continue to update this page as new statistics become available.

  • Twitch stats show insane number of games xQc played in one year – Dexerto

Twitch stats show insane number of games xQc played in one year Félix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel’s channel has grown significantly on Twitch during the course of 2019 and new statistics suggest variety might be the key to his success. The former Overwatch professional player has established himself as one of the biggest streaming assets on Twitch since making the move to full-time broadcasting, with over 1.6 million followers, but he has never limited himself to just Blizzard’s multiplayer title. In fact, his regular viewers will know more than anybody that they just don’t know what to expect every time he goes live, whether it be a session on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Escape from Tarkov, Overwatch, or something completely different. While there are many streamers out there, just like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, that predominantly stick to one battle royale game like Fortnite, or PUBG, xQc is always mixing things up and the stats show it’s really paying off. Esports agent Ferris Ganzman revealed in a tweet that the streamer had played 356 different games on his channel during the course of the last year, amassing 3,414 hours of streaming time and a jaw-dropping 55 million hours of his content watched on the platform. Fun @xQc stats: In the last year he has streamed 356 different games, 3414 hours, 55 million hours watched with an avg ccv 16,500 on @Twitch — Ferris (@AGeNtl0l) November 13, 2019 TwitchTracker, a website that monitors the different movements for high profile streamers, shows that during the timeframe mentioned by Ferris, he has attracted almost a million new followers to his channel as well. That’s not all, though. The chart shows below that the Canadian is seeing an average of over 16,500 people come to his broadcasts every time he decides to go live. A big part of xQc’s success, just like any other streamer, has been the development of his loyal fanbase. While many of them do spend their time trying to roast him in the chat, for his birthday this year they had a huge surprise lined up for the streamer and it was a lot more wholesome than what subscribers have got used to. He will be hoping for even more of those memorable moments to happen on stream in the future and with such impressive growth, there’s a good chance he’ll be around for a long time to come.

More than 60,000 fans tuned in for the big ceremony as they tied the knot live on stream. Weddings are a very special day to share with friends and family. However, when you have a strict list and plenty to invite, it can be hard to get everyone there — especially if you have a large fandom like Twitch stars Natsumiii and BaboAbe. Both prominent members of the OfflineTV and friends circle, their wedding was a big moment for everyone in the group. The duo also has a dedicated core of fans who wanted to share in the big day. So what better way than to stream it on Twitch? Natsumiii told fans “you are all invited to our wedding” ahead of the big day, propping up a camera to share the moment. Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang had a big part to play in sharing the ceremony, carting the camera around as guests got prepared. He wasn’t the only big name in attendance. Dozens of OfflineTV family and friends, from Peter Park and Ludwig, to LilyPichu and Michael Reeves, were there making cameos on stream before the big moment. The wedding took place in a regal hall in front of close friends and family. As Abe and Wendy stood on the altar exchanging vows, thousands were in chat sending their well-wishes to the newlywed couple. The stream was a raging success as more than 60,000 viewers tuned in at the peak of the celebrations. The stream was turned off as the party started — after all, the reception should be a riot with all the names in attendance. However, it allowed Natsumiii and Abe to share the moment with everyone special in their life, including their Twitch chat.

Twitch star Sykkuno officially reveals he’s moving to Las Vegas after dropping hints Instagram: @sykkuwu / Mike Boening, Unsplash.comTwitch superstar ‘Sykkuno’ has seen an explosive rise to internet stardom in the past few months, and after dropping a few hints that he’s making major life changes, has officially revealed he’s moving house. Sykkuno’s is a unique and surprising case in online fame; while he’s been making content since 2011, the influencer saw a huge rise in YouTube subscribers during the last few months of 2020, skyrocketing him from 400k subscribers to over 2 million. This impressive growth has been applauded by fans and fellow streamers alike — and it makes sense, as the creator managed to score a jaw-dropping 1.6 subscribers in just four months’ time. It seems that his newfound success is also kicking off a major life change for the streamer, as hinted at during a broadcast in early January. The star teased that he would be moving out of California, where he previously lived with major streaming group OfflineTV before exiting the collective to pursue his own personal projects in November 2020 — right when his subscriber count began to climb. “I will say this, though, guys — I’m actually moving soon,” he said during a January 8 broadcast. “I don’t know if I should say where. But you guys will know, and it’ll happen within a month, probably. I will say this, guys… there’s a decent chance I won’t be in California anymore.” ummm sykkuno is probably moving out of cali in abt a month 😳 pic.twitter.com/CY7OBSMtY5 — tiff | FATE TOUR (@sykShock) January 9, 2021 It seems that Sykkuno’s hint was a bit more on-the-nose than fans expected, although he isn’t moving too far away; on January 15, the streamer revealed that he is moving to Las Vegas, home to several other major content creators. However, it looks like Sykkuno’s streams will be on the back burner until he’s all settled in — but it doesn’t seem that his fanbase is too worried about that particular drawback. “Moving to Las Vegas!” he tweeted. “I’ll be back on streams soon!” Sykkuno’s post has been met with hilarious reactions from a slew of other top streamers, with the likes of Mizkif replying with a video of himself merely saying, “Bye.” This move to Vegas marks another in a major series of life changes for one of the net’s biggest stars as he continues on his high rise to fame.

On September 3, the popular broadcaster announced he would be doing a charity stream for Holly, also known as OLimitedEdition or oLTDEdition. The goal was to earn enough so the aspiring streamer could afford a new PC and drawing tablet so she can create emotes. Holly was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called Frank Ter Haar syndrome. The condition is so rare it only affects 3 people in the world. The disease affects one’s eyes, heart, and causes skeletal abnormalities. Tonight at 6:30 CST we will be doing a charity stream for Holly. • Twitch star Spreen claims he was banned over channel points rewards – Dexerto

Twitch star Spreen claims he was banned over channel points rewards YouTube: SpreenArgentine Twitch star Ivan ‘Spreen’ Buhajeruk has claimed that he was banned from the streaming platform after offering up VIP and subs to his channel via Twitch’s channel points system. Whenever a streamer is hit with a suspension from Twitch, fans quickly scramble to try and find out just exactly why they’ve been suspended as well as the length of the suspension. As standard, Twitch doesn’t comment publicly on ban reasons, but typically informs the streamer of what guideline they’ve broken to end up with a punishment. In the case of Spreen, a Spanish-speaking streamer that has been on a rapid ascension up the Twitch popularity charts, he was struck down with his first-ever ban on October 19. At the time, the Argentine labeled it as “bulls**t” and confirmed that he was working to get it addressed. Spreen finally explains Twitch ban is over channel points Now, the Minecraft star, who has close to 6 million followers on the Amazon-owned platform, has claimed that his ban came as a result of offering up VIP status as well as a subscription to his channel via the channel points system. The streamer made the claim in his October 22 video, titled Me banearon, suggesting that the popular practice had landed him in hot water with the streaming platform. “They gave me a warning that I had to remove that but it was not exactly explained that I had to remove the VIPs and subscriptions specifically,” he said, noting that they made it “very clear” that streamers aren’t allowed to do that, when they finally sent him a reason for his ban. Timestamp of 2:47 It is interesting to note that, Twitch’s own guidelines do not mention anything about streamers being unable to offer those specific rewards in exchange for channel points. In fact, plenty of streamers offer up VIP status in exchange for points as a kind of loyalty system. Twitch streamers are not allowed to “create Points redemption opportunities that constitute gambling” which some viewers have suggested Spreen could have fallen foul of by offering the chance to win places on his Minecraft server, PS5s, as well as other high-value items. As of writing, Spreen’s channel is still suspended and he’s still got some time to go having negotiated it down from 30 days to just 14 days.

  • Twitch star Susu apologizes for AdmiralBahroo accusation after police were called – Dexerto

Twitch star Susu apologizes for AdmiralBahroo accusation after police were called Instgram: Susu, Twitch:AdmiralBahrooTwitch streamer Susu has apologized to VTuber AdmiralBahroo after she claimed he called the police over “mean comments” made on social media. The two later confirmed a third party imitating Bahroo made the call instead. AdmiralBahroo has been one of two VTubers under the microscope in the streaming community following accusations of harassment and bullying leveled against him and Bunny Ayu back in March. Susu was one of the streamers to step forward, claiming Bunny “emotionally abused” her — although she did not share further details publicly. It came to a head on April 27 between Susu and Bahroo though, with the former claiming the latter called the police over “mean comments”. “You won’t intimidate me from supporting the victims of Bunny Ayu,” Susu stated. Bahroo defended himself from the accusations. “I genuinely do not have any idea about this. I have been taking a nap after the fire alarm went off and woke up to this,” he said. “For the record, my name is public knowledge. I am hard at work trying to be the better person I said I wanted to be.” After discussing the situation privately, Susu and Bahroo came to the conclusion that “an individual who was very close to all of us and was angry with me for retweeting Twitlongers against Bunny” made the call using Bahroo’s name. Susu apologized to the panda VTuber “who was definitely hurt by this immensely and had his reputation further destroyed”. “I’m sorry I did not handle this privately, as I figured it would escalate,” she added. https://twitter.com/Susu_jpg/status/1519137566569775104 Bahroo added onto Susu statement by stating the two will be handling the rest of the situation behind closed doors. “After discussion with Susu I can say things have been handled privately. The police were called by somebody close to Bunny and myself, and we are handling that privately.”

The Spanish Twitch star went all out for his “Las Campanadas con Ibai” event, with the three-hour stream from Madrid’s famous Puerta del Sol having the same broadcast quality as a New Year’s production in Times Square. Standing with the clock tower in the background, Ibai brought on numerous guests to recap his own electric 2021 — including when he broke 1.5 million viewers with his boxing event back in May. Then, once it did, Ibai Llanos also brought out the big guns for his Spanish viewers by bringing back popular TV host Ramón García — who did the New Year’s countdowns in his heyday — to ring in 2022 in style. The clock behind Ibai, with “Feliz 2022” written just underneath, lit up in fireworks when midnight ticked over. The massive pyrotechnics display went on for over a minute, lighting the sky up in an array of reds, blues, and whites. • Twitch star Shibuya Kaho recounts “scary” stream sniping incident in Japan – Dexerto

Twitch star Shibuya Kaho recounts “scary” stream sniping incident in Japan Twitter: ShibukahoWhile on her way home after an IRL stream, Twitch star Shibuya Kaho was stream sniped by a fan who waited for her at a train station, resulting in a “scary” situation for the content creator. Stream sniping has become a normalized activity for die-hard Twitch fans who take things too far. For those unaware, this is when someone from Twitch chat looks through a streamer’s broadcast and uses clues within the environment to track down their real-life location. The fan then finds the streamer in person in an attempt to greet them. And though in the eyes of a fan, this may seem simply like an act of respect to see their favorite streamer, pending on the context of the situation it very well may result in discomfort and an invasion of privacy for the streamer. In Shibuya Kaho’s case, a fan knew she had to take the last train after her stream concluded. They waited for her at a station in Tokyo, and eventually found her, much to her shock. This encounter “scared [her] in so many ways…” Kaho actually had “to tell her fans ‘[please] don’t come find me off stream, not even for saying good-bye at the airport or on bullet train when [she is] traveling’”. According to Kaho, the stream sniping incident “totally caught [her] off guard when [she] was going home alone after the stream… [She] thought the concept of stream sniping is only when [they’re] live.” Fans have a tendency to restrain their behavior when appearing on their favorite streamer’s broadcasts, since their actions are recorded and they may be judged by others online. In Shibuya Kaho’s case, the fan appeared when her cameras and broadcast were off. In other words, the small protection of the content creator’s stream is no longer a factor. Though Shibuya Kaho was safe, the encounter itself caused her great unease — which is a very justifiable response to the action her fan took. There may not have been ill intent, but the invasion of privacy and lack of boundaries is a very real concern.

  • Twitch star Heelmike banned on Kick after receiving oral sex on stream – Dexerto

Twitch star Heelmike banned on Kick after receiving oral sex on stream Kick/HeelmikePopular Twitch star Heelmike has been banned on Kick after he received oral sex live on stream. Since its debut as a rival to Twitch, Kick has been subject to plenty of controversy with many streamers partaking in activities that wouldn’t be allowed on other platforms. So far, we’ve seen streamers have sex on stream, broadcast the Super Bowl, and Adin Ross even watched adult videos – all without any consequences. Now, Heelmike has finally done enough to get banned, but only after he showed himself receiving oral sex. Heelmike responds after one-day Kick ban for sex act on stream Footage of the stream shows Heelmike filming himself while a girl performed the sex act on him. “Come on, daddy,” the girl can be heard saying while he relaxes. Taking to social media after the ban, the Twitch streamer revealed that it was all worth it, especially as he was only banned for a single day. “One day ban on Kick after averaging 15K views and honestly I got lost in the sauce and was over the top,” he admitted. “I’ll be back with the energy, but not being disrespectful.” The streamer went on to take a shot at Twitch, adding that Kick was the “GOAT” because the platform would reach out to creators and explain what they did wrong. Although Heelmike didn’t share his message from Kick, Twitch has been notorious for leaving streamers in the dark when it comes to bans. In any case, we’ll have to see if Kick decides to amplify how many days Heelmike is banned for if his next stream is anything like this one.

  • Twitch star Ibai enlists BTS army to help defend r/place from “bots” – Dexerto

Twitch star Ibai enlists BTS army to help defend r/place from “bots” Twitch: Ibai, BTSTwitch star Ibai called upon the BTS army to defend a spot within Reddit’s r/place project as Spanish and French streamers clashed over the pixel art. There have been many unlikely crossovers in the world of entertainment, but Ibai’s interaction with the BTS fandom is one of the best yet. The BTS army is comprised of the South Korean K-Pop group’s loyal fans and Ibai requested their help in a call to arms, of sorts. While r/place has transformed into nothing more than a void, the battle for space has been gripping Redditors everywhere, with the battle between French and Spanish streamers being exceptionally fierce. Ibai asks BTS army to help “defend” r/place from bots People around the world were fighting for space on r/place, with some communities resorting to using bots, which Ibai was keen to stop. As bot usage became rampant, Ibai put a call out on social media specifically to BTS fans: “BTS army attention! Please help in r/place! In exchange, the biggest streamers of Spain will stream the next BTS single. We are trying to defend the Reddit community from the French bots taking up much space. Lets Paint together” continued Ibai. The Spanish streamer suggested that they paint the BTS logo on top of a massive French flag that sat on the r/Place project – and it eventually happened. Reddit revived r/place for April Fool’s Day 2022, which sees users adding pixels within a limited color palette to an experimental canvas, which has now transformed into a white void of blank space. It’s unknown if it’ll return next year, but the fierce battles have helped streamers like xQc break their own viewership records a few times over.

  • Twitch star Chica teases move to Kick after platform bans seemingly innocent chicken emote – Dexerto

Twitch star Chica teases move to Kick after platform bans seemingly innocent chicken emote Twitch / Twitch: ChicaMega-popular streamer Chica has jokingly teased a career pivot from Twitch to new upstart Kick after the Amazon-owned platform removed a seemingly innocent chicken emote. It hasn’t exactly been the smoothest start to 2023 for Twitch. From mass layoffs impacting thousands of employees to a shift at the very top with veteran CEO Emmett Shear resigning after 16 years, the boat has certainly been rocked in recent weeks. In the meantime, surging rival Kick has been gathering momentum, for better or worse, with internet celeb Trainwrecks largely steering the ship. Now, another Twitch star has teased a departure from the platform amid its struggles, albeit in jest, after having one of their seemingly innocuous emotes banned. While this is nothing new in and of itself, seeing as various emotes are banned for violating the Twitch terms of service more often than not, this particular instance has exploded on social media given the nature of the little chat icon. Chica’s theme featuring adorable chicken emotes led to the inclusion of one known to her chat as ‘chicaL.’ This emote featured the chicken holding its hand to its head in the shape of an ‘L’. This alone was enough to be blocked on the platform for “targeted insults, bullying, and threatening or inciting abuse.” Sharing the news with her audience on Twitter, Chica simply posted the decision from Twitch with an accompanying link to Kick. It just so happens she’s already secured a verified account on the platform in the event she did make the jump, though it appears unlikely given this post was made in jest. Dozens of fans chimed in below in disbelief that this seemingly innocent emote was removed from the platform for the reasons listed above. “What is happening over here?” one fellow personality asked. “Ain’t no way,” another added. “What is Twitch even doing anymore?” “That’s actually so ridiculous,” LuluLuvely replied. “For what?” Anne Munition questioned. Meanwhile, a number of other streamers on the platform explained how a similar crackdown on emotes has also impacted them. “Same,” FaZe star Kalei said. “They took mine too,” dakotaz also revealed. “I think they’re removing any emotes with single letters because people would use them to write bad stuff. I had my ‘F’ emote removed too,” Natarsha explained. Among those responding to the news was none other than Trainwrecks himself, adding to the discussion with a set of laughing emojis and nothing more. Naturally, Twitch is yet to respond to the backlash and provide further clarity on the widespread emote removal. Given the platform historically remains silent at times like this, it’d be wise not to hold your breath in waiting to hear more. Though in the event further details emerge, we’ll be sure to update you here with all the latest.

Twitch star elxokas caught with secret Twitter used to argue with haters Twitch: elxokasTwitch star Joaquín ‘elxokas’ Domínguez accidentally revealed on stream his secret Twitter account that he uses to argue with haters under posts from his main account. Elxokas is one of the biggest rising stars on Twitch. In January 2022, his account exploded in popularity as he gained over half a million followers in just one week. Twitch star Amouranth shuts down “biggest misconception” about her Twitter/AmouranthTwitch star Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa stunned popular YouTuber Anthony Padilla when she revealed the “biggest misconception” fans and viewers have about her. Amouranth is one of the biggest names in streaming. With millions of followers spread throughout Twitch, OF, YouTube, and other platforms, she’s been able to make a fortune. Considering her star power, the content creator was invited on Anthony Padilla’s internet show, where she discussed her dating life, career, and investments. However, there was one surprising piece of information Amouranth shared that certainly amazed the YouTuber – and potentially, quite a few of Siragusa’s fans. (Segment starts at 21:25 for mobile viewers) Amouranth reveals she’s only had one partner When asked what the “biggest misconception” about her is, the 28-year-old revealed that she’s actually not the “sexual goddess” many people claim she is. “You’re not a sexual goddess?!” Anthony exclaimed before jokingly walking off stage and returning to finish the interview. “I’m out of here, man.” “I’m actually very inexperienced sexually,” Amouranth added. “I’ve had like one partner before, so my body count is really low. People always expect it to be high.” The Playboy bunny then touched on a number of fans being possibly disappointed by this revelation. “I don’t so hookups, sorry,” she laughed. That’s not the only major revelation she dropped during the interview; Amouranth also dished about her current dating life, claiming that her busy streaming schedule and status as a top-tier online entertainer keeps her too busy to deal with romance. Talking about personal matters such as this is not very common for a major internet personality of Amouranth’s caliber. On Twitch, she tends to not talk about her relationships, past or present, but for those wondering… Now, they have an answer.

  • Twitch star Anita explains how she handles grief and it’s some of the best advice you’ll ever hear – Dexerto

Twitch star Anita explains how she handles grief and it’s some of the best advice you’ll ever hear Twitch: Sweet_AnitaThe live nature of Twitch means viewers can often discuss their problems with their favorite broadcaster, and streamer Sweet_Anita produced some wonderful words of wisdom when a fan asked her for advice on how to stop grieving. One of the most powerful things about Twitch is the connection that can be built between a viewer and their favorite content creators, and sometimes a word from one of these streamers can make a huge difference to peoples’ lives. One such viewer asked Anita back in June for advice on coping with grief, with the Brit responding with some incredibly sage and poignant advice that is some of the best guidance you’re ever likely to hear. When Anita’s fan asked how to deal with grief, the streamer explained in a lovely and heartfelt momentthat it’s not possible to just stop grieving, but that you have to let it take its course. “How do you stop grieving? You don’t.” the streamer explained. “And if you try to stop, you won’t. Grieving is a natural pain and it has to take its course. There will be a piece of you that is gone, but every day you will learn to work with the rest of you a little bit better until it doesn’t matter that it’s not there anymore.” Anita continued: “When it comes to a loved one – especially a really close loved one – there will always be days where you feel their absence more than others. The way I have learned to cope with losing people in my life is to appreciate the moments I had, rather than being bratty and mourn the days I didn’t get to have. “I’m not going to be angry that I didn’t get more, it was a privilege to know them every day that I got to. It could have been shorter, but I got that time, I’m so happy I did. Whenever I catch myself being upset, I try to focus in on all the things I benefited from by their existence, and I become determined not to let their presence become a source of sadness or negativity.” Whether Anita’s amazing advice helped the viewer remains unknown, but it serves as a beautiful reminder to all of us that enjoy the moments we have with the people we love, rather than mourn the memories that we don’t get the opportunity to make.

  • Twitch star Amouranth reveals why she’s posting less “ass” on social media – Dexerto

Twitch star Amouranth reveals why she’s posting less “ass” on social media Twitter: @AmouranthAmouranth’s Twitch stardom and social media popularity has come, in part, thanks to some… scandalous content. Now, she’s explained why she hasn’t been posting quite as much of that imagery on Twitter. In recent days, it was revealed that Envy Gaming creator Andrea Botez muted her friend Amouranth on Twitter. As she explained, while wanting to support her peer, she simply didn’t want strangers seeing “butts and boobs” on her feed while out in public. Although Amouranth is popular for luxurious gifts to her assistant and shrewd business investments, it’s no secret that scantily clad content is a big part of her brand. She’s one of PlayBoy’s launch Centerfold creators and has received so many Twitch bans that some fans think she’s getting them on purpose. So, Amouranth doesn’t fault Botez for being a little cautious about opening her content in public. In response, she admitted that it makes sense, but also revealed that she’s actually toned down the heat recently. Amouranth explains why she’s posting less “ass” on Twitter “The Twitch streamer hasn’t responded to Andrea’s news at the time of writing, but we’ll make sure to update if she does.” et tu Andrea? Lol I don’t post as much ass anymore to avoid being shadow banned, but this is fair pic.twitter.com/POKwwUUu4W — Kaitlyn (@wildkait) February 4, 2022 Reacting to Dexerto’s article about the situation, Amouranth said that Botez’s decision to mute her “is fair.” Jokingly, she also poked at her friend in classical Roman fashion: “et tu, Andrea?” Going further, though, the streamer and content creator revealed that she has recently decided to be… less revealing in her posts. Specifically, Amouranth shared a comforting message for those worried to see her content in public: “I don’t post as much ass anymore to avoid being shadow banned.” Amouranth now censoring herself to avoid Twitter shadowbans I too, would like to be unshadow banned @TwitterSupport @verified https://t.co/kQfJm5AJN4 — Kaitlyn (@wildkait) December 28, 2021 Back in December 2021, Amouranth revealed that she had been shadowbanned on Instagram and Twitter. At the time, she tweeted Twitter support to ask for her accounts to be brought back from the depths of quiet censorship. Since then, she seems to be taking it upon herself to avoid a shadowban by cooling off the content she shares. At the moment, that decrease in temperature seems to have saved her from Twitter’s wrath, but it remains unclear if it’s been enough for Botez to un-mute.

Amouranth has had quite an eventful few months. While she may be kissing OF goodbye, it seems like there is a big opportunity lined up for her in the form of a new show called Streamer Royale. • Twitch star Amouranth reveals shock deal with plastic ball company – Dexerto

Twitch star Amouranth reveals shock deal with plastic ball company Unsplash.com: Mahmud Ahsan / Twitter: wildkaitPopular Twitch streamer ‘Amouranth’ has made a few huge money moves lately — and her most recent business venture involves a manufacturer for plastic balls. Amouranth is one of the biggest female streamers on Twitch. Boasting over 5 million followers on the platform, her hard work and controversial content have made her a household name in the space. She’s more than a steamer, though; she’s made millions on OnlyFans and recently became a Playboy model, and is even making million-dollar investments in companies like Visa. Pair that with her purchase of a gas station and acquiring a $10 million 7-Eleven location, it’s clear that Amouranth isn’t keen on putting all her eggs in one basket… but her latest business venture is raising some eyebrows online. On February 10, Amouranth revealed that she’d invested in a plastic ball manufacturing company — a business that produces plastic balls for things like playpens, ball pits, and more. According to Amouranth, the biz “sources, manufactures, and distributes / does its business domestically.” GUESS WHAT? In her latest investment, the content guru revealed she now owns a 7-Eleven after spending $10,000,000. Amouranth’s rise to fame as a cosplayer turned Twitch streamer and OF content creator has earned her a fortune and she’s been investing her income in a number of properties to increase her revenue. Earlier in November, she revealed she bought a gas station and actively fought off accounts who tried to tell her that the purchase was just a “fantasy.” Next, she plotted a scheme with fellow streamer Ludwig to create her own adult toy. And now, after detailing her retirement plans, she made her biggest purchase to date: a 7-Eleven. Oops I did it again. A 7-11 this time! ~$10,000,000 price tag. And to make things even crazier, that’s not the only big purchase she’s teasing, as she also has a big car-themed reveal planned, noting how other influencers have been buying “super-duper cars.” “Unlike a Vineyard or sports Team, the latter of which has actually been a great investment looking back, no one buys a gas station to look fancy or flex,” she stated. “A gas station is a numbers only decision.” To celebrate, Amouranth said that Slurpees were on her, but it’s unlikely you can just go into a random 7-Eleven and put it on her bill. Still, this was quite the purchase and we can only wonder what she has planned going forward. It should be noted, however, that it’s unclear if this particular 7-Eleven has Call of Duty Vanguard 2XP Doritos, something some streamers might actually call to inquire about. Amouranth teases buying OTK To make things even more interesting, Amouranth even joked about buying the content creation team One True King in the future. While it’s likely she was just kidding, given her growth and the income she’s generating, anything is possible, especially if the Twitch icon continues to expand at such a fast rate. In any case, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds and Amouranth continues to march towards global domination.

Twitch star Amouranth praises Elon Musk for $3 billion Twitter purchase Pixabay/Instagram/AmouranthPopular Twitch streamer-turned-entrepreneur Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa is praising Elon Musk for buying 9% of Twitter instead of creating his own platform. Amouranth has become quite the businesswoman in recent years, flaunting her extravagant acquisitions on social media. The hot tub streamer has become the owner of a gas station, a plastic ball company and has bought a ton of stock, including $2M of Activision-Blizzard. Now, with Elon Musk’s $3B purchase of 9% of Twitter, Siragusa has praised the Tesla founder for what she believes to be a “great pickup.” Amouranth explains why Elon Musk’s Twitter buy was so good Taking to her personal Twitter account, the Twitch star outlined why she was thrilled about Elon’s massive purchase. “Twitter’s utility as a platform far exceeds its market value. In any case, it seems like Twitter is going to become a much more interesting platform now that Elon has such a prominent role.

  • Twitch star Alinity reveals how OnlyFans convinced her to join their platform – Dexerto

Twitch star Alinity reveals how OnlyFans convinced her to join their platform Instagram/AlinityTwitch sensation Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon has taken the streaming and OnlyFans world by storm, but it turns out she needed some convincing to join the controversial platform. Alinity is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, boasting over 1.5 million followers on the site and many more on her Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube accounts. The Colombian-Canadian’s rise to fame didn’t come without some drama, though, as the 34-year-old has had some feuds with PewDiePie, Ninja, and even concerned animal rights activists after her infamous cat-throwing scandal. Despite the few drawbacks, however, Alinity has become extremely successful and wealthy in large part due to her OnlyFans presence – which, as it turns out, wasn’t even her idea to start. Alinity says OnlyFans reached out to her to make content In an interview with Mel Magazine, the streamer revealed that she had been in talks with OnlyFans directly, and the platform wanted her to join them. “OnlyFans [had been reaching] out to me for a while,” she said. “After hearing how much they thought I could be making, I realized it was too good of an opportunity to pass.” They were right. While Alinity hasn’t disclosed how much she has made, back in 2021, she revealed to Mizkif that she made more in two months on OnlyFans than she would make in 10 years on Twitch. Her fans are willing to fork over big bucks for content too, especially when it’s something extremely specific. For instance, she said that a “very elaborate burping video” earned her $50,000, with her viewers paying $100 just to watch it. Clearly, OnlyFans was right about how much money the Twitch star was missing out on, and it’s wild to imagine what her bank account looks like one year after making her account.

  • Twitch star Amouranth buys Kum & Go gas station for $8m – Dexerto

Twitch star Amouranth buys Kum & Go gas station for $8m Instagram/Amouranth/Kum&GoTwitch sensation Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa revealed she just bought yet another gas station, this time a Kum & Go worth $8,000,000 to add to her growing empire. Amouranth has taken the internet by storm, amassing a fortune through OnlyFans and then using her money to invest in businesses, properties, and loads of stock. In 2021, the streamer bought her first gas station and quickly followed that up by purchasing a 7-Eleven – something she has denied doing just because of record prices at the pump. Now, the Twitch star has added yet another gas station to her name: a Kum & Go with 12 pumps, and she seems poised to gear up for OF retirement. Amouranth explains why she bought another gas station In a thread on her personal Twitter account, the content creator stated that although she planned to stop posting about gas stations, this buy was too good to pass up. “New Kum & Go on 2 acres, 12 service pumps for $8,000,000,” she beamed. “Went in for 25% on a syndicated deal.” KUM & GO I wasn’t gonna talk about the gas stations anymore since the accelerated depreciation bonus rolls off this year, but I figured I’d do one or two last ones for good measure New kum & go on 2 acres, 12 service pumps for $8,000,000 Went in for 25% on syndicated deal pic.twitter.com/7DAoP7v829 — Kaitlyn (@wildkait) June 23, 2022 She went on to explain her reasoning for the purchase, commenting how the developer and franchisor both win with her investment. “I make a down payment, borrow dollar-denominated debt that is losing value (good for me),” she noted, further adding how consumers benefit because they would get more choice and convenience. To show good financial metrics and capital efficiency. Of course Alimentation Couche-Tard or KGC *could* develop at cost or buy outright the station themselves… but they would rather sign a 15+ year lease & show higher returns on capital (leasing lowers the denominator) — Kaitlyn (@wildkait) June 23, 2022 The businesswoman further invited her fellow successful content creators to “hit her up” for a six-figure investment opportunity, though didn’t share details on what it could be. As the popular streamer gears up toward her retirement, we can’t wait to see what more big purchases she has in the works as she looks to grow her passive income to dwarf what she makes currently.

  • Twitch staff warned jobs are “at risk” with more potential layoffs before TwitchCon – Dexerto

Twitch staff warned jobs are “at risk” with more potential layoffs before TwitchCon Unsplash.com: Caspar Camille RubinA number of Twitch employees are claiming they’ve been warned their positions are “at risk” mere weeks before TwitchCon is set to kick off in Las Vegas. As layoffs continue to plague the tech industry, employees at Twitch claim they’re facing another potential round of dismissals following a previous mass layoff at Amazon earlier this year. The issue was first revealed the morning of October 3, 2023, with employees at Twitch sounding off that they’d been informed their positions were potentially “at risk.” Workers at Twitch have been posting similar statements across Twitter/X, with many claiming they haven’t been officially let go, but are worried their jobs might be deemed “redundant” if things go south. However, other posts claim that layoffs have happened or will happen, with one employee stating: “I’ve survived another round of layoffs at Twitch, but my soul is absolutely crushed into grains of sand. I am beyond words for my colleagues.” Twitch employees worried as jobs deemed “at risk” Thus far, nothing has been confirmed or denied by Twitch, leaving the community in the dark as to what’s next for the streaming platform. These possible layoffs come mere weeks before TwitchCon is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, where a host of major streamers are likely to attend one of the year’s biggest events in the online broadcasting space. This news also follows another major round of layoffs for Twitch that took place earlier this year, when Amazon let go of approximately 10,000 employees — which also affected Twitch, which is owned by Amazon. That’s not all; this news also follows a major update for streaming fans, as broadcaster KingGothalion claimed to have received an email from Twitch CEO Dan Clancy hoping to create a “quick and dirty” fix for streamers abusing embedded broadcasts to gain more views. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens as more and more employees come forward with similar statements about the possible stats of their positions at the streaming giant.

Twitch star Adriana Chechik joins Amouranth with her own AI chatbot Instagram/Adriana ChechikTwitch streamer Adriana Chechik is joining Amouranth by releasing her own AI companion to satisfy the needs of fans. AI has seen many uses in its evolution. From image sites creating unique pictures to ChatGPT writing essays. Now, there are even AI versions of your favorite OnlyFans models. Amouranth shocked the world back in May when she launched her very own AI chatbot to give fans more access to her and now Adriana Chechik is following suit. On July 4, Adriana Chechik launched her own AI chatbot, which comes at a good time considering her brutal backbreaking injury at TwitchCon left her unable to make content. Adriana Chechik launches new AI companion The AI is currently built into Telegram and will be part of the Forever Voices AI platform, the same one that Amouranth collaborated with. Speaking with TMZ, Chechik explained that since her injury, she’s realized how important it is to have a connection with fans and believes that AI is a great way to maintain contact. “You can basically chat with Adriana AI about anything. Ask questions about her life, ask her to describe her favorite things to do with you,” the website states. It will cost fans quite a bit to enjoy the companion, however. One minute of use costs $1, but there is a free trial of three messages and a special offer for those who can’t get enough. “Since you’ll be talking to Adriana AI everyday, or multiple times per day, there is an option to deposit $500 with a $100 free gift for power users,” the site explains. With two of the biggest OnlyFans stars now making use of AI, it will be very interesting to see what other streamers make the jump and how this technology grows to give viewers even more options to live out their wildest fantasies.

  • Twitch staff “exodus” company over focus on money over streamers: Report – Dexerto

Twitch staff “exodus” company over focus on money over streamers: Report TwitchA new report revealed that Twitch has had a mass exodus of employees, including three higher-ups in the company, who detailed that even more staff members could soon be out the door. Twitch has come a long way as a streaming platform since it launched back in June 2011. The company has been rivaled by YouTube and Facebook Gaming over the years in the streaming space, but Twitch is still king by a comfortable margin. Although the site’s viewership and community are still solid, according to a new report, inner turmoil at the company has led to the loss of key executives and tons of staff. Twitch exodus fueled by company direction A new report from Bloomberg detailed that the company lost over 300 employees in 2021, and are on pace to lose many more in 2022. Read More: Top 20 Twitch Streamers – Twitch also lost key staff members, like head of creator development Marcus “DJ Wheat” Graham, COO Sarah Clemens, and CCO Michael Aragon. DJ Wheat told Bloomberg that Twitch began hiring workers from Silicon Valley who were “unwilling to learn what this community was, why it was special.” The shift towards workers without knowledge of Twitch’s connection to its huge and unique audience could spell an identity crisis for the Amazon-owned streaming site. The report also revealed that former employees were worried about the attempts to monetize streamers’ growth with new programs like Twitch boost, which allowed streamers to pay to promote their channels for extra exposure. The program was immediately slammed by streamers like Ludwig, who at the time called it “predatory.” While Twitch isn’t going anywhere any time soon, former employees like DJ Wheat have rung the alarm that Twitch could be heading down the wrong path.

  • Twitch staff hit by latest round of layoffs at Amazon – Dexerto

Twitch staff hit by latest round of layoffs at Amazon TwitchAmazon has unfortunately announced yet another round of layoffs, which will impact approximately 9,000 workers including Twitch team members. In November 2022, Amazon let go of roughly 10,000 employees staffed within its devices, retail, and human resources organizations. The workforce took a few more hits not too long thereafter, with the company announcing another 8,000 job cuts in January of this year. Amazon isn’t the only company in the tech sector cutting large numbers of jobs, either. Mass layoffs also hit the likes of Microsoft, Meta, and Google in 2022 and early 2023. Now Amazon has announced another series of job cuts that will affect multiple internal sectors. Amazon layoffs to impact staff at Twitch As reported by CNBC, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced in a March 20 memo the company’s plan to cut 9,000-plus staffers. The layoffs will take place over the next few weeks, Jassy said, revealing the primarily affected positions include those in the AWS, PXT, Advertising, and Twitch divisions. “This was a difficult decision, but one that we think is best for the company long term,” the CEO wrote in his memo. In a message of his own, new Twitch CEO Dan Clancy divulged the workforce reduction will see the company bid farewell to more than 400 people. “As a company focused on building community together, this decision was incredibly difficult and one we did not make without considerable thought.” Later in the aforementioned memo, Andy Jassy acknowledged the push in recent years to rapidly increase Amazon’s internal headcount, arguing that it made sense given the economy at the time. To this point, the executive added, “However, given the uncertain economy in which we reside, and the uncertainty that exists in the near future, we have chosen to be more streamlined in our costs and headcount.” News of Amazon’s latest round of layoffs affecting Twitch comes only days after the streaming service’s CEO, Emmett Shear, resigned from his post. Hopefully, everyone who’s lost their jobs will soon land back on their feet.

  • Twitch staff confirm key improvements to ban process now in the works – Dexerto

Twitch staff confirm key improvements to ban process now in the works Pexels.com/TwitchTwitch has confirmed its ban process is set to receive a drastic overhaul, specifically targeting the information given to streamers following a ban. The often inscrutable process of bans on Twitch has been subjected to scrutiny over the past weeks. With the infamous ‘cracker ban‘ dominating discussions around what is and isn’t appropriate to say( or do), Twitch staff have announced they are looking at changing the process to bans. With ban appeals recently entering the Twitch space, the team at Twitch HQ is clearly dedicating much time and thought towards the enforcement of their terms of service. In conversation with the Washington Post, Twitch’s VP of trust and safety Angela Hessian declared that a large move they’re attempting to make through this process is the inclusion of video proof when suspensions are dealt out. Hessian said: “So we’re looking at how we can attach more details for people to understand — like the video itself. That’s something we’re definitely working on” With early detection for TOS breakages happening by AI, Twitch has long held a reputation for being hard to get in contact with following a ban. Alongside the ability to appeal, these new changes will be aimed at providing clarity to streamers over exactly why they are receiving punishment. With a current extreme push for shutting down ‘sexual content’ on the platform. Up to now, getting a ban has involved receiving an email pointing to the broken rules, with no description of the actions that broke the rules. Which can lead to misinformation spreading rapidly surrounding what gets streamers booted from the platform. With YouTube gaming hot on the heels of Twitch, and the company making big gaffs with its largest streamers, this move towards transparency could be just the start of a larger trend for open communication from the platform. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information on the rollout of this feature arises.

  • Twitch sparks outrage after Onision is quietly unbanned – Dexerto

Twitch sparks outrage after Onision is quietly unbanned Twitch: OnisionGamesFans have gone into uproar after Twitch have seemingly quietly restored the account of disgraced YouTuber ‘Onision,’ nearly a year after troubling allegations began to surface about him. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] Gregory ‘Onision’ Jackson originally had his Twitch account banned in January of this year, despite only streaming for less than two weeks. The streams on this account date back as far as seven months ago, which would’ve meant he started this account in March. However, the fact that this account is ‘verified’ and is often promoted by his official Twitter account suggests that this is indeed an account that is not only ran by Jackson, but is also recognized by Twitch as such. The account currently only has 9,454 followers, which is marginal compared to the 29,000 followers he had on the platform prior to his ban. However, the content is mostly the same. The majority of Jackson’s streams are in the ‘Just Chatting’ section, with his average audience being between 30-40 viewers according to statistics by SullyGnome. These stats also show that while Jackson was posting sporadically throughout spring and summer, he has been streaming nearly every day since August. Unsurprisingly, fans are disgusted by the news and are demanding that Twitch take action. Are you *FUCKING* kidding me, @Twitch??????????? pic.twitter.com/8b10vJoBRb — Vio 🏳️🌈🇦🇹🇨🇦🐧 (@VioTCZ) October 10, 2020 Twitter user Vio highlighted the news in a Twitter thread that received 1.4k retweets and 17.7 likes. They expressed their disbelief that Onision was not only allowed back on the platform, but had presumably had his status of ‘Partner’ reinstated. “I don’t believe for a second that they didn’t/don’t know his f***ed up history, which includes GR*OMING SEVERAL MINORS,” they despaired in a Tweet that got 114 Retweets and 3.8k Likes. I am fucking SEETHING right now I don’t believe for a second they didn’t know/don’t know his FUCKED up history ESPECIALLY YA KNO GROOMING SEVERAL MINORS BUT GO OFF TWITCH FUCKING HELL AND YOU *ALLOW* HIM ON THE PLATFORM LET ALONE *PARTNER* HIM? — Vio 🏳️🌈🇦🇹🇨🇦🐧 (@VioTCZ) October 10, 2020 When someone is a Partner on Twitch, this means that they have the potential to make money on the platform through content creation. Other fans on Twitter agreed that this was unacceptable, with one user saying: “It seems like Twitch needs new employees. The men get away with being p*dos and women get perma banned for not much. It’s interesting and it really shows what they want this platform to be soon, dead.” It seems like twitch needs new employees. The men get away with being pedos and women get perma banned for not much. It’s interesting and it really shows what they want this platform to be soon, dead — amb (@Ambbplat) October 10, 2020 What happened with Onision? A range of disturbing allegations about Jackson emerged in the autumn of last year. Along with video also resurfacing of his alleged abusive behavior towards former fiancé Shiloh Hogansen – where he is filmed saying “No one will ever know how much I abuse you” – a series of young girls also came forward with allegations of grooming against him and his then-spouse Kai Anderson. Things escalated further when Chris Hansen announced in late October 2019 that he would be collaborating with the FBI on an investigation into Jackson’s behavior, with him interviewing his ex Shiloh as well as two of the young girls who accused him of grooming and manipulation: Billie Dawn Webb and Sarah. Webb later had her phone number posted online by Jackson in a presumable retaliation against her speaking out. This led to him being banned by Patreon in November for doxxing. He also lost half a million subscribers on YouTube during this time, with his subscriber count depleting from over 2 million to 1.5 million. At the time of writing, Twitch haven’t spoken publicly about their decision to allow Jackson back onto their platform. We will update you when we know more.

  • Twitch speed dating streamer Kyootbot banned for first time – Dexerto

Twitch speed dating streamer Kyootbot banned for first time Twitch: KyootbotTwitch has issued a suspension to streamer Kyootbot, known for her ‘speed dating’ streams. Kyootbot has said that she was banned for inappropriate attire. Kyootbot enjoyed a rapid rise in popularity on Twitch in 2021, largely thanks to her unique format of content, where she allows viewers to call up and attempt to woo her with their talents or charisma. Although there has been some criticism of these streams, it’s been very successful for Kyootbot, real name Kiana. Her average viewership spiked to over 3,000 in November, and in June was at an all-time high of 5,500. However, that progress has been put on hold, temporarily, as her channel was banned from the platform on July 11. Why was Kyootbot banned? Speaking on a YouTube stream after her ban, Kyootbot said that the cause of the ban was “just attire sh*t”. Twitch’s rule on appropriate attire dictates that clothing should be appropriate for the context of the stream – for example, making exceptions for beach streams or workout streams. Viewers had speculated that the cause of the ban was actually because of a lack of moderation in chat. Channel owners are responsible for the moderation of their chat, and failing to do so can result in a temporary suspension. However, Kyootbot has said it was simply an issue with her clothing. https://twitter.com/DougJumper/status/1546393212272517120 Twitch does not comment on community guidelines violations to protect the privacy of users. As this is her first suspension, it is only a 24-hour ban. More serious violations can lead to a 30-day ban, while repeat violations can result in an indefinite suspension. Kiana has already begun streaming on YouTube a day after her Twitch ban. At the time of her ban, Kyootbot had over 360,00 followers and around 2,000 active subscribers.

  • Twitch slammed for ignoring streamer who claims they’re withholding payments – Dexerto

Twitch slammed for ignoring streamer who claims they’re withholding payments TwitchTwitch bans are commonplace within the community for a variety of reasons, but one streamer has been feeling the brutal end of Twitch’s regulations, leading to monetary issues. Getting to a place where being a Twitch streamer is an actual career can be difficult for many users, but there are plenty signing up to try. You’ve got to jump through different hoops to become a Twitch partner, which unlocks the subscriber button, including building up a loyal community of followers who check-in and interact with the stream. Those subscriptions and donations make up the income for streamers, and while it can be quite lucrative, some streamers have been having issues with Twitch withholding payments from them. Sohba calls out Twitch over unreleased payments Sohba, a small streamer with around 4,000 followers, took to Twitter to reveal that the streaming platform has refused to release funds that she has earned. “Maybe I can’t get your attention as I’m not a big streamer, but this is interfering with small streamers’ livelihood,” she tweeted, noting that other small streamers have also suffered a similar fate. Despite the platform confirming an investigation is underway to resolve the issue, Sohba isn’t happy with the automated responses she has been getting or having to go in circles with Twitch support. “There are people who might actually need this money to survive. When it comes to money, you should take this much more seriously than automated responses,” she said, calling on the platform to hire additional help. Maybe I can’t get your attention as I’m not a big streamer, but this is interfering with small streamers’ livelihood. I notice it’s not just me going through this. Not only that, but it’s unfair to my community who were trying to support me only to have their money stolen. — sohba (@sohba__) October 25, 2021 Fans and other content creators have joined in her calls, asking for clarity from Twitch on the situation. “This is really unacceptable…,” said one. “I really love streaming but I hate how increasingly unhelpful and out of touch Twitch has gotten in the relationship with their creators,” added another. Some fans have been far more direct with their criticism: “Y’all seem to only hire useless people. Your support is really sh** tier.” Twitch has seemingly yet to respond to Sohba with a more direct conclusion to the matter.

  • Twitch sparks backlash from streamers after new ad option still doesn’t fix pre-rolls – Dexerto

Twitch sparks backlash from streamers after new ad option still doesn’t fix pre-rolls TwitchTwitch have announced a new ad format that should create a better experience for viewers, but streamers are upset that the change does nothing to fix complaints with pre-rolls. Pre-roll ads are the bane of many streamers and viewers. These are the ads that play the second a stream begins and can be a major annoyance for anyone just wanting to get straight to watching their favorite streamer or event. Taking aim at ads themselves, on August 2, Twitch announced Stream Display Ads would be coming soon. These are optional ads on the bottom and/or sides of the screen that still allow viewers to see and hear the stream. While Twitch’s intention was definitely good and new options are usually always welcome, the fact they don’t apply to pre-rolls isn’t sitting too well with some. Twitch changing adds with new option I’m very confused – Most of us care about the impact of ads rather than how we can earn more ad revenue. I personally don’t even run ads because it’s not worth it. Pre-rolls are the ones that are too interruptive and restricting discoverability. pic.twitter.com/mmZuvQ8Zlw — Cadaea (@sophiekeen) August 2, 2021 “I’m very confused – Most of us care about the impact of ads rather than how we can earn more ad revenue. I personally don’t even run ads because it’s not worth it,” streamer Cadaea wrote. “Pre-rolls are the ones that are too interruptive and restrict discoverability.” Attached, she included a photo from the FAQ stating that Stream Display Ads are being implemented to be less interruptive. Others shared similar concerns. “I know many streamers would like the update on the pre-rolls especially since the bounce rate is so incredibly high,” Twitch affiliate BenGSimon wrote. Hey BenGSimon, SDAs won’t contribute to pre-roll time at launch. If you have feedback on this feature please let us know on UserVoice! 📣 https://t.co/Dbo9vbyb5b — Twitch Support (@TwitchSupport) August 2, 2021 “SDAs won’t contribute to pre-roll time at launch. If you have feedback on this feature please let us know on UserVoice!” Twitch quickly responded. Backlash Elsewhere, some streamers found the addition of SDAs a poor one. “So you still run pre-roll ads and now have figured out another way to add more ads?” UnfluffyBunny commented. “If you said this replaces pre-roll ads or other ads I would be like yes twitch a step in the right direction but no you are just finding another way to add more ads so you make more money!” So you still run pre-role ads and now have figured out another way to add more adds? If you said this replaces pre-role ads or other ads I would be like yes twitch a step in the right direction but no you are just finding another way to add more ads so you make more money! — Jonathan (@UnfluffyBunny_) August 2, 2021 It does seem like Twitch isn’t exactly opposed to having SDAs replace pre-rolls in some capacity in the future, but obviously the fact it doesn’t outright has some users on the platform shaking their heads and fists. Hopefully, SDAs can end up applying to pre-rolls in the future as the consensus among viewers and streamers seems to be that they’re the biggest issue ad-wise.

  • Twitch unbans Mr Wobbles after long-time suspension amid WillNeff drama – Dexerto

Twitch unbans Mr Wobbles after long-time suspension amid WillNeff drama YouTube: Mr WobblesTwitch unbanned Austin ‘Mr Wobbles’ O’Brien from the platform after the music artist issued a tearful apology and took responsibility for getting William ‘WillNeff’ Neff banned. Twitch bans don’t just prevent streamers from broadcasting from their own channel. Often, banned streamers cannot appear on other streamers’ channels, too. O’Neil was banned three years ago for “freaking out” on someone who was allegedly harassing him. However, it’s finally been lifted following the recent debacle where he interacted with fellow streamers on the OfflineTV Rust server, including WillNeff, which ultimately got him banned too. Hey just so there is no confusion I was ban for “aiding account suspension evasion” most likely because I was chilling with @mrwobblesmusic. When I heard @cyr had been given a warning I muted stream when I spoke with @mrwobblesmusic today but apparently that was not sufficient. — Will Neff (@TheWillNeff) July 17, 2021 After WillNeff was banned, O’Brien issued a tearful apology to him and his fans. He said: “I’m so sorry to Will, I’m so sorry to [fellow streamer] Cyr, I’m so sorry to the people who made me feel like I could just hang out. I don’t want to cause anyone to lose their channel – I don’t want to be that guy.” O’Brien further explained that he will no longer be on the OTV server to avoid getting more players in trouble with Twitch. “It genuinely sucks, because I love doing what I do,” he added. However, Neff urged O’Brien not to be sorry, explaining that he was not “in any way responsible for what happened.” And now, after both receiving an outpour of support, the pair worked together to try and get Mr Wobbles unbanned from the platform after all this time, and their appeal was successful. • Twitch slammed for failing to moderate their own channel’s chat – Dexerto

Twitch slammed for failing to moderate their own channel’s chat TwitchTwitch has received backlash after the chat in its own official channel was full of hateful comments during the Participation Awards ceremony. As part of Twitch’s celebration of its community, on January 23 it held a Participation Awards to commemorate the work of their streamers and the community. The stream focused on using Twitch chat as a direct medium between the hosts and viewers. But, as the event was running, some, including partnered streamers, criticized Twitch for ineffectively moderating the messages in chat. Twitch partner and variety streamer negaoryx called out the platform for allowing the chat to be ‘full’ of hate speech and harassment towards the guests and hosts of the awards. “I am unfathomably angry at the lack of protection and care Twitch shows its marginalized creators,” she said. Meanwhile, other top streamers on the platform who also made their account when under 13 have gone unpunished.

  • Twitch introduces new Shield Mode to help protect streamers from “hate raids” – Dexerto

Twitch introduces new Shield Mode to help protect streamers from “hate raids” TwitchTwitch’s new Shield Mode feature will help combat unwarranted and damaging actions made on the platform, protecting content creators when streaming from “hate raids” and other forms of harassment. As a platform, Twitch often finds itself at the center of controversy when it comes to its most popular content creators feeling unsafe on the platform, or smaller stars being subjected to hate raids. Hate raids are when a large group of people, often encouraged by a ringleader either on or off Twitch, enter a streamer’s chat and begin making inappropriate comments. In particular, streamers who identity within the LGBTQIA+ community have been subjected to an increase in hate raids this past year. As a way to combat this issue further, Twitch plans to introduce a new feature, Shield Mode, starting December 1. In the announcement, Twitch explains how Shield Mode’s “real power comes from the way it combines and levels up existing safety tools in one place. “With Shield Mode, you can pre-set multiple safety settings that can be activated with a push of a button whenever higher protections may be necessary.” As stating in the blog post, Bulk Ban will allow content creators to “mass ban all users” who use specific terms of phrases that the streamer has specified as inappropriate or not suitable to use during their streams. This feature can be accessed in the “Terms and Phrases” tab. When the word or phrase that has been specified is used in chat, the viewer will be automatically banned. Streamers can always unban viewers in the “banned chatters” tab if they decide they want to allow them back into the conversation. “Banned terms and phrases will reset after every Shield Mode session, so your community isn’t accidentally impacted by older terms that are no longer being used maliciously.” The feature isn’t at 100% functionality either, noting “at launch, you will need to file individual reports for each banned user — but we’re actively exploring how we can make that process easier in future updates.” The second feature to be brought in with Twitch’s Shield Mode is blocking first-time chatters from interacting with specific streams. When a content creator chooses to enable Shield Mode, chatters can only take part if they have watched the streamer’s previous content. This minimizes the risk of hateful comments or new viewers coming in and participating in hate raids, an issue that has gotten increasingly worse on the platform. Twitch hopes this will help content creators to “thrive and safely build [their] community in the long term by letting you keep safety settings more relaxed when things are calm.”

  • Twitch shuts down feature because nobody used it – Dexerto

Twitch shuts down feature because nobody used it TwitchTwitch is getting rid of a feature that has been in testing for a few months, simply because no one has been using it. While Twitch remains the go-to platform for streamers, the Amazon-owned platform does face tough competition from a few challengers. YouTube and Kick have both signed big names, and Rumble has also been making a few waves. That competition, and subsequent demands from users for them to up their game, has prompted Twitch to make a fair few changes over the last few years. Naturally, other platforms, and streamers who’ve moved over there, have been trying to follow in Twitch’s footsteps with a few things. Some YouTube streamers have been demanding a better directory page, while Kick streamers were desperate for clips off the bat. However, there’s probably one feature they won’t be following, and that’s Community Moments. Twitch is getting rid of Community Moments If you’ve watched a big Twitch stream over the past few months, you’ve probably been granted a Community Moment badge and clip at some point. The chat typically fills up with jokes about NFTs too. Well, they’re being done away with, simply on the basis that they haven’t become as widespread as Twitch probably planned. “We’ve made the decision to shut down the Community Moments beta on October 5, 2023 due to limited use from the Twitch community,” Twitch tweeted on August 31. “This will allow us to focus on developing features that bring value to more streamers and their communities in the future.” A number of prominent streamers, including Esfand, stated that barely anyone had access to it, so there’s no surprise that it had “limited use” across channels. Some creators have already urged Twitch to bring it back and open up access for others, but that seems a little farfetched now.

  • Twitch reportedly scrapping popular Just Chatting feature in major change – Dexerto

Twitch reportedly scrapping popular Just Chatting feature in major change Twitch/Unsplash: @djravineLive streaming platform Twitch will supposedly be removing the popular rerun feature which allows streamers to rebroadcast an old stream while they’re offline. Reruns have been a part of Twitch for a long time. Streamers can pick and choose to rebroadcast an old live-stream VOD – allowing them to grow an audience even when they’re sleeping or on holiday. While there’s of course no real-time interaction when watching a rerun broadcast, new viewers can get a taste of what to expect from the streamer while watching. However, it looks like the Amazon-owned platform will be removing the popular rerun feature altogether in the future. In a tweet on May 21, journalist Zach Bussey reported that Twitch is looking to remove the feature which is popular in the Just Chatting section of the site. “Looking like Twitch is going to announce the removal of the ‘rerun’ feature,” Bussey announced. However, he continued by prefacing that he’s unsure of when the platform will be removing it. “Unsure when exactly,” he said. Looking like Twitch is going to announce the removal of the ‘rerun’ feature. Unsure when exactly. — Zach Bussey (@zachbussey) May 20, 2022 While reruns can be useful for streamers to grow their audience, they aren’t exactly sad to see it go. “This is great news the amount of people using reruns is so crazy,” responded Twitch streamer AllFunNGamez. “There was a huge issue with games that supported drops where people would do reruns and they would count towards it. I am happy they are removing this feature. Twitch is about being live,” he added. “It was one of the worst features anyways,” said another streamer. “I don’t think it offered anything decent and the ability to cheat the system to those that could go on top of the list.” Recently, the Amazon-owned streaming platform has come under fire for the changes they’re considering implementing in the future, with those impacting partnerships and subscription payouts.

  • Twitch Rivals disqualify Tfue’s Minecraft tournament win over brightness settings – Dexerto

Twitch Rivals disqualify Tfue’s Minecraft tournament win over brightness settings Tfue/Twitch RivalsFollowing his first place finish in the Twitch Rivals Minecraft Mystery Games tournament, streamer Tfue tweeted out he’d been disqualified – apparently because his brightness settings were too high. On April 6, the Minecraft Mystery Games were held by Twitch Rivals, and streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s team managed to take out the competition and come in first place. The streamer was riding high, until he was apparently informed by Twitch that his team had been disqualified at the very end because his brightness setting was “too high.” WE JUST WON TWITCH RIVALS AND THEY DISQUALIFIED US BECAUSE MY BRIGHTNESS WAS TOO HIGH???? — Tfue (@Tfue) April 6, 2021 “WE JUST WON TWITCH RIVALS AND THEY DISQUALIFIED US BECAUSE MY BRIGHTNESS WAS TOO HIGH????” a very surprised Tfue tweeted just after the tournament wrapped up. After the tweet several users pointed out that Tfue’s brightness settings did seem to give him an advantage over other players, and used screenshots to back up their claims. On top of that, even though he wasn’t using any mods, the Twitch Rivals rules did forbid changing the settings to get an unfair advantage, but it doesn’t make this any less bizarre of a situation. Not only did Team BastiGHG take the hardware, they also took the $50,000 grand prize, which could go a bit towards explaining why the disqualified team and Tfue himself were so upset by the descision. • Twitch roll out new measures to help streamers manage DMCAs – Dexerto

Twitch roll out new measures to help streamers manage DMCAs TwitchOne of the biggest issues facing Twitch streamers is finally being dealt with, thanks to an assortment of new tools being rolled out by the Amazon-owned platform to combat DMCA strikes. DMCA notices became a major problem for streamers in 2020 and continued into 2021, with old VODs featuring copyrighted music leading to channel suspensions and plenty of frustration. It was so bad, JakeNBake had a two-year-old IRL VOD receive a copyright takedown because Kanye West music was playing over speakers while he was outdoors. This eventually caused some streamers to reconsider IRL broadcasts as a whole, worried that even going into a grocery store where music was playing could lead to complications. Twitch is rolling out new tools for managing DMCAs: • Receive and track DMCA notices on your Dashboard • Delete/unpublish VODs in batches of up to 20 at a time, or all at once with a single click pic.twitter.com/FvytWn2VB6— Lowco (@LowcoTV) March 17, 2021 Twitch has acknowledged this problem and understands streamers’ complaints. Now, the platform is rolling out some tools to help deal with DMCA notices and address them quickly. As showcased by StreamerSquare CEO Lowco, who specializes in helping streamers with advice, Twitch is now notifying users via their “My Channel” inbox in addition to emails when there is a problem. This should ensure that whenever there is a copyright strike against a channel, the streamer is aware of it and can take the appropriate actions. Additionally, Twitch is now upping the VOD-deletion capabilities streamers have, allowing them to delete all VODs or in batches of 20 at a time. Now, streamers can watch all of their unpublished VODs directly in Video Producer without needing to first download them. As you can see in the screenshots she provided, Twitch has made it much easier to spot when there is a DMCA claim and to delete VODs. While all these updates are definitely nice improvements, the issues regarding music playing in the background, even when the streamer has no control over what others play, remains a prevalent problem. Hopefully, Twitch can figure out some methods to help streamers out in more ways than just cleaning up VODs and being aware of DMCA claims in the near future, but for now, at least there are some additional tools at their disposal.

  • Twitch Rivals reportedly disqualifies ZLaner from Warzone tournament over Dr Disrespect cosplay – Dexerto

Twitch Rivals reportedly disqualifies ZLaner from Warzone tournament over Dr Disrespect cosplay Facebook: ZLanerWarzone streamer Zack ‘ZLaner’ Lane was all geared up to participate in the game’s Twitch Rivals tournament on July 20, until Twitch reportedly told him he was “not eligible” to compete. ZLaner has been one of the fastest growing Warzone streamers of late, in part thanks to his collaborations with Dr Disrespect, whom as we all know is blacklisted from Twitch like Voldemort is from Hogwarts. On July 20, just before the $75,000 Warzone Twitch Rivals tournament got started, ZLaner revealed on Twitter that he was told by the streaming site he was “not eligible for Twitch Rivals.” I was pumped to run it up with @KaleiRenay & @ClutchBeIk today but received this message, day of… “ZLaner is not eligible for Twitch Rivals today” – Twitch staff pic.twitter.com/BPkOjRusZc — OpTic ZLaner (@ZLaner) July 20, 2021 There were all kinds of rumors flying around as to the reason why ZLaner was barred, including his affiliation with Dr Disrespect. Read More: Froste’s Twitch subathon hits 800 hours – Esports journalist Jake Lucky tweeted that the alleged reason for the ban was none other than ZLaner’s Dr Disrespect cosplay and, just to add further fuel to the rumor, the streamer himself even liked the tweet. Doc didn’t say anything himself, but like any good friend he did retweet Lane’s image of him in cosplay to make it clear he’s got his duo’s back. ZLaner did say recently that he wasn’t even considering an option to stream exclusively with Twitch, because he wouldn’t be able to stream with Doc anymore. Whether that had any bearing on the site’s July 20 decision is unknown as well, but at this point there doesn’t seem to be a concrete answer for why he was DQ’d. This is still a developing story, and Dexerto has reached out to both ZLaner and Twitch for comment, and if either knows the exact reason he can’t compete. Twitch rival Kick announces landmark partnership with Alfa Romeo F1 team Credit: Alfa Romeo F1 / Salracing / Kick.comKick.com, a budding streaming rival to Twitch, has announced a landmark partnership with Alfa Romeo’s F1 team ahead of the 2023 season. Alfa Romeo’s F1 team is joining forces with burgeoning streaming site, Kick, one that will push the streaming platform in front of the racing enthusiast audience in big ways throughout the upcoming season. Kick.com started operations at the tail end of 2022, with ex-Twitch star Tyler “Trainwreck” Niknam transitioning to the site in light of recent policy changes blocking gambling streams on the Amazon-backed platform. Ever since, in large part thanks to Train’s promotion, the streaming site has been growing slowly but surely. With backing from investment parties, including those at online gambling company Stake.com, Kick has enticed a handful of personalities to jump across and bring their audiences with them. In its most recent move, the platform outlined a new Creator Program incentive to ensure all streamers, no matter the size of their audience, receive payment for the hours they spend live. Train helped spearhead this movement as he works towards “financial security for all streamers.” On top of that, Kick also advertises a 95-5 subscriber revenue split that would give a creator a much larger share of subscriber revenue in comparison to Twitch’s 50-50 and YouTube’s 70-30. Alfa Romeo says the new partnership will include prominent branding of Kick.com on the team’s C43 vehicle in selected races. The streaming website will also host exclusive behind-the-scenes content and potential streams with the drivers in which viewers will be able to interact with their favorite personalities.

Twitch Rewind 2018 – Unofficial compilation of the best (and worst) of Twitch 2018’s YouTube Rewind is currently the most disliked video ever on the platform, but unofficial ‘Twitch Rewind’ videos have been received much better, recalling the classic moments from the last 12 months on the biggest streaming platform. Twitch has continued its impressive growth in 2018, breaking the concurrent viewership record for both an official event (ELEAGUE Boston CS:GO Major peaked at over 1 million concurrent), and for an individual stream, when Ninja streamed with Drake and then later beat his own record with a Las Vegas Fortnite tournament, peaking at over 667,000 concurrent. The number of people streaming is also increasing rapidly, with more than 3 million monthly broadcasters (up almost 1 million over 2017), streaming mostly games, but also IRL (in real life) content too – almost half a million go live every day. The first Twitch Rewind comes from ‘LiveStreamFails’ on YouTube, and includes some of the biggest moments in esports, all the way down to the simplest funny clips and fails from small streamers over 2018. Classic moments include when a streamer proposed to his partner while live, impressive PUBG clips from shroud, and the incredible Rocket League winning shot. Another popular Twitch Rewind focuses more on the platform’s big names and some of their most recognizable moments of the year. The likes of xQc, Tyler1, Summit1g and more all feature, with some of their highs and lows over the year.

  • Twitch reverses perma ban for Fortnite streamer who said he was a “child predator” – Dexerto

Twitch reverses perma ban for Fortnite streamer who said he was a “child predator” Instagram/HydraSZNTwitch has decided to reverse its decision to permanently ban a Fortnite streamer who joked about “liking kids” and being a “child predator.” Controversial Fortnite streamer HydraSZN came under fire earlier in August after making a series of awkward jokes on stream about being sexually interested in children. During a broadcast, HydraSZN was caught utterly a slur before claiming to ‘like kids,’ even going as far as saying, “Oh, I swear to God I do, on my life I’m a little child predator.” After the footage went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, Twitch issued a permanent suspension for the streamer, but his appeals seemed to have worked. Twitch unbans streamer who joked about “liking kids” Shortly after the ban, HydraSZN began pleading with Twitch, issuing appeals that at first were rejected. “I deserve the hate for making a dumb joke, but if Twitch bans me for this, they might as well ban literally thousands of other streamers. I don’t deserve an indefinite ban,” he said. “Twitch is my job, and my childhood dream and I was finally succeeding.” Despite the Amazon-owned platform rejecting the appeals and deciding the punishment will remain, a week later on August 31, the site did a 180 and reversed the perma ban. “After reviewing your case, we can confirm that the correct enforcement was issued. However, given the details of your case, we have decided to accept your appeal,” Twitch said in an email to the streamer. HydraSZN’s Twitch channel has since been reactivated, much to the surprise of the streamer who says he won’t let this second chance go to waste. “I shall never f**k up again,” he pledged. This isn’t the first time there has been controversy in the Fortnite scene relating to child predator comments or actions. Back in 2021, Twitch banned a Brazilian streamer after he was arrested for allegedly raping two children.

Twitch reverses permaban for streamer who threatened to “shoot people” at their HQ Twitch/YouTube/narcissawrightFamous speedrunner and Twitch streamer Narcissawright, formerly known as CosmoWright, has had her permaban reversed despite threatening to shoot people at the platform’s headquarters. Narcissawright is one of the internet’s most storied speedrunners, best known for her iconic Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time records in which she beat the N64 title in just minutes. On March 21, however, she was permanently banned on Twitch for violating the site’s rules on nudity and sexual content. This prompted her to tweet: “I want to kill myself and shoot people at the Twitch HQ!” Despite this threat and the permaban, just over a week later, the streamer shockingly had her punishment reversed. Twitch reverses permaban after ‘remorseful appeal’ On March 29, Narcissa revealed that Twitch had decided to reverse the decision to permanently ban her, instead reducing it to a 22-day suspension. “Given the details of your case, including the remorse expressed in your appeal, we have decided to reduce your suspension duration,” Twitch said in an email to the streamer. https://twitter.com/narcissawright/status/1508838507246088194 Twitch further stated that the ban would expire 22 days after it was originally issued, but also said that attempts to evade the suspension would result in additional penalties. During her ban, Narcissa posted a photo of her email inbox revealing that she had two additional Twitch accounts indefinitely banned, suggesting she had attempted to bypass the suspension. https://twitter.com/narcissawright/status/1506657159416754182 Speaking with Dexerto, the speedrunner claimed that her shooting threat was “not credible” and that she didn’t own any weapons, to begin with. Still, the streamer says she is grateful to Twitch for hearing her appeal out and reducing her ban duration so significantly. Whether or not she faces additional punishment for ban evasion, however, remains unknown.

  • Twitch reverses Auronplay ban after suspension for bizarre reason – Dexerto

Twitch reverses Auronplay ban after suspension for bizarre reason Twitch: AuronplaySpanish Twitch streamer and YouTuber, Raúl Auronplay Álvarez, was banned from the Amazon-owned streaming platform on September 25 — before Twitch reversed their decision in only 20 minutes. Auronplay is one of the most popular streamers on all of Twitch, boasting 4.6 million followers, in addition to his 25-million subscribers on YouTube. So, it came as a shock, both to himself and his millions of fans, when his Twitch channel was suspended out of the blue on September 25. amigos streamers: no veáis vídeos de bodas JAJAJAJA un niño ha enseñado el culo al señor que grababa la boda https://t.co/kLV140XFqD — Auron (@auronplay) September 25, 2020 Why was Auronplay banned from Twitch? In response, he wrote on Twitter: “streamer friends: do not watch wedding videos HAHAHAHA a boy has shown his a** to the man who was filming the wedding.” Presumably, this was the reason for the suspension — showing a video in which someone exposed themselves to the camera. However, for reasons unknown, Twitch instantly reversed the suspension — after only 23 minutes. This was recorded by Twitter bot ‘StreamerBans,’ which tracks moderation actions taken against partnered Twitch streamers. ✅ Twitch Partner “”auronplay”” (@auronplay) has been unbanned after 23 minutes and 57 seconds! ✅https://t.co/S6lpBlTUMI#twitch #unban #partner #twitchpartner 👦 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) September 25, 2020 Clearly, Auronplay himself was somewhat bemused by the ordeal, and mocked a troll suggesting he had been unbanned because he had ‘contacts’ at Twitch. Why exactly Twitch reversed the ban is unclear. The platform does not comment on community guideline violations to respect the privacy of users, but presumably, the initial suspension was simply made in error. With his channel now reinstated, Álvarez is free to return streaming to his 4.6 million followers on Twitch. It’s not the first time that Twitch has issued peculiarly short suspensions to big name streamers. In fact, it’s believed that TimTheTatman holds the record for the shortest ban ever, unbanned after less than 10 minutes. It’s possible that these bans are the work of automatic moderation, and so are quickly overturned when a human eye is cast on them. Although, this does raise concerns for smaller streamers, who are perhaps not able to appeal their ban and have a response as quickly as a partnered broadcaster. But, with countless people now streaming at any given time of Twitch, and growing fast, it becomes increasingly difficult for the platform to moderate it all.
