TikTok’s ‘Gym Karen’ goes viral: Lissettepma’s gym video gets roasted by users TikTok/LissettepmaA new viral post has swept over TikTok with user lissettepma having her gym workout interrupted by passers-by. Yet, users aren’t fully on her side. TikTok may have started out as a home for some of the internet’s most artistic and musically gifted creators, but it has become so much more than that over the last few years. Now, the video-sharing app resembles Vine when that was in its heyday, home to skits, daily trends, and a whole lot more, with plenty of interests having their own side of ‘Tok’ on the app. Showing off Gym workouts on ‘FitTok’ is an everyday thing for health and fitness creators, however, it doesn’t always go to plan. Lissettepma’s gym ‘karen’ TikTok As user lissettepma showed, sometimes, people just don’t care if you’re filming in the gym – they want to get their workouts in as well. In her August 12 post, the TikToker complained about gym-goers walking across her camera lens and getting in the way of her filming her own workout. Naturally, the post blew up in the days after, but not for the reasons the TikToker may have wanted. With over two million views and thousands of comments, the tables were quickly flipped on lissettepma as viewers questioned why she would complain about what happened. TikTok comments blast gym ‘Karen’ Many viewers pointed out that, while the gym-goers may have been briefly inconveniencing her, it is a public gym, so they can sort of do whatever they want. “Another person who thinks everything revolves around them,” said one commenter. “The worst part is she posted this video in good faith thinking people would agree with her. A true Karen,” added another. Others asked if she had requested permission from people around her to film as well, pointing out that, maybe, they didn’t want to be on camera. The TikToker ultimately defended herself saying it’s “normal” to film at the gym, given she wants to watch it back and track her progress. Her issues lay with how she “isolated” herself but people still chose to walk across her camera. “Normally, I don’t care if people walk across when I know it’s in a crowd. I understand what you guys are saying, but I did isolate myself,” she added. Though, as the comments show, people haven’t quite taken her side and the post has gone viral for the wrong reasons.

TikTok’s famous text-to-speech voice actor finally revealed TikTok: voiceofkatA Canadian radio host has revealed herself as the voice for TikTok’s text-to-speech app, shocking users on the app in the process. TikTok’s text-to-speech voice has provided some of the most hilarious moments on the social media app as users bring hilarious moments they captured to life with the handy feature. Back in May 2021, TikTok changed the voice-to-speech woman after the previous voice actor, Beverly Standing, filed a lawsuit against parent company ByteDance for using her voice without her permission. Now, the woman who’s been secretly behind the text-to-speech has revealed herself. Radio host reveals herself as the voice of TikTok TikTok’s text-to-speech voice actor is Kat, is a radio host at 91.5 The Beat, a Canadian radio station. She’s the host of programs like Scott & Kat after 9 and The Beat Breakfast with Scott & Kat. In her very first TikTok, Kat revealed her voice as the one used for TikTok’s text-to-speech function which is used by thousands of users every single day. Her first video racked up an insane 27 million views in just a week since behind uploaded. Since then, users in the comment section have questioned if Kat actually was the voice of TikTok. Now, she’s finally uploaded more videos confirming she is the voice we’ve been hearing all this time. She hit back at users in the comments who claimed she was lying and said, “No, I’m not lying. Doing what I do for a living, to lie about something like this would be pretty silly.” Kay finished the video by doing her TikTok text-to-speech voice to confirm that she is, in fact, the voice of the popular video-sharing app. While it’s strange to finally pair a face to the voice that has been ubiquitous on the app, Kat has scored herself viral fame for finally revealing herself.

TikTok’s educational content trial: Everything you need to know – Dexerto
TikTok’s educational content trial: Everything you need to know TikTok: supperceramics/ TikTok: jesslouisec / TikTok: annieartlivingTikTok is testing a new feed this week that prioritizes educational videos for a select number of users in the UK and Europe. The educational content feed is being tested on a small number of users, TikTok confirmed, though it declined to say how many would encounter it in day-to-day usage. The roll-out of the test comes five months after a similar trial in Canada, where users were given two different ways to discover the educational content-focused vertical. One way users in Canada found out about the additional feed was through a small lightbulb icon in the top left of the app. Another alternative that was tested in Canada included a third line of text at the top of the screen next to the “Following” and “For You” indicators. That text appeared to the left of “Following” and simply read “Learn”. In both instances, pressing on the icon or text led users to educational content selected by TikTok. “In our recent comparative study of TikTok and its sibling platform, Douyin, we noticed a trend in parent company ByteDance’s response to controversy with dedicated and localized social justice or educational campaigns,” says D. Bondy Valdovinos, a researcher at Queensland University of Technology, who has studied TikTok and its Chinese counterpart, Douyin. “TikTok has faced a tumultuous year internationally with new bans and several threats of bans and in recent months has also launched a campaign eponymously titled TikTokforGood,” he adds. “Launching the educational feed now would certainly fit with past trends.” The app has promoted its educational prowess in recent months. In the UK, it launched its #LearnonTikTok campaign in June, signing up Cambridge University, English Heritage, and others to the app as part of a $15 million investment across Europe “to begin seeding a whole ecosystem of educational content”. Some of those content creators would not necessarily be considered educational in the traditional sense of the word. Emails promoting #LearnonTikTok to prospective partners highlight MTV UK, Delish UK, and former X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon as current educational partners. Solomon, a Z-list celebrity in the UK, is classed as education for “sharing life hacks and helpful tips around the home”. She has posted three TikToks since June: one where she makes a smoothie, one where she made a display from pebbles gathered on a beach holiday to Sidmouth, a Devon coastal town, and one where she does the Bop-It challenge with partner Joe Swash, another Z-list celebrity. Internal documentation, obtained by me, defines educational content on TikTok as “any video that promotes learning new skills, habits or information. This type of video content typically feels inspiring and actionable to users.” Videos using the #LearnonTikTok hashtag have been seen 37.6 billion times. At the time, TikTok’s managing director in Europe, Rich Waterworth, declined to tell me how much of the $15 million budget the app was spending on its launch partners. However, subsequent reporting by me for The Times found that TikTok had invited UK universities to a digital meeting in June, where it offered commercial partnerships to Russell Group universities to join the app. TikTok would provide £5,000 in free advertising credits to educational institutions in exchange for them posting at least two videos a week for a minimum of 10 weeks. “Like YouTube before it, the platform is maturing and courting wider audiences,” says Valdovinos. “Part of the challenge in that process is demonstrating how the platform can be used for more than just entertainment media.” A playbook TikTok provides to those it signs up to its #LearnonTikTok campaign highlights the importance of educational content to the app’s future. “Educational Content is an important and growing category on TikTok which we will be actively promoting using the #LearnonTikTok hashtag to inspire creative learning for our users,” the playbook explains. “TikTok is engaging partners to make educational content to help us grow the ecosystem of useful content on the platform.”

TikTok’s Diego Martir and Ona criticized for “offensive” seizure trend – Dexerto
TikTok’s Diego Martir and Ona criticized for “offensive” seizure trend diegomartir / TikTokPopular TikTok content creators Diego Martir and Ona have received massive backlash for mimicking seizures in one of the platform’s latest controversial trends. Creators on TikTok have seen unprecedented social media growth in the last year, with stars such as Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae gaining tens of millions of followers for their brief videos. Many TikToker’s have built massive followings for their efforts particularly through recreating some of the app’s most popular trends and challenges. Not all of the trends have been received warmly by fans of the app, however, after the rise of a new “seizure trend” started to go viral, with many of the top creators facing harsh criticism for taking part. The trend would often feature TikTok stars explaining that they caught themselves having a seizure on camera, transitioning to a clip of them mimicking convulsions before bursting into a dance or twerking. Among those who received the most backlash for the trend was Diego Martir and Ona, who each have millions of followers on the popular video-sharing platform. For Diego’s post, fellow TikToker Lauren Kettering opened up claiming that he had “passed away” before baiting fans with the “seizure trend” and sparking outrage in the comments section. While she did not go as far as Diego, Ona received similar backlash on her account for her contribution to the trend as many fans found the trend to be insensitive to those who actually suffer from seizures. “How is this a trend?!” one TikTok user wrote, expressing their disappointment in the creator, ” This is not even good to joke about.” Ona has since deleted the video from her page following the backlash and Diego has apologized to fans on his post, claiming full responsibility for following the controversial trend. While many were critical of the TikTok stars, some of their fans claimed that it was not as offensive as many made it out to be, however, it is likely that the popular creators will be a bit more careful when choosing to follow a trend in the future.

TikTok’s Disability Pride hashtag hits 40 million views as July draws to a close – Dexerto
TikTok’s Disability Pride hashtag hits 40 million views as July draws to a close TikTok: daddyy.dess/ludawinthesky/shelbykinsxoDisability Pride Month has come around every July since 1990, and this year, disabled influencers have taken their self-celebration to TikTok. The hashtag has since amassed over 40 million views. As the month draws to a close, we take a look back on some of the highlights. Though it seems like Disability Pride Month has reached every corner of the planet, the event actually originated from Boston, USA. The first Disability Pride Month was held in 1990, after the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed by George W. Bush. In July 2021, the event was celebrated remotely by TikTokers worldwide. Disabled activist Destinee Faire (@daddyy.dess) and actress Amy Purdy were among those who took part. From practicing self-love to calling out major brands, the hashtag is filled with positive vibes. How have people used the Disability Pride TikTok hashtag? Some of the TikTokers celebrating Disability Pride have taken the opportunity to educate others. Disability justice advocate @myelasticheart posted a video on “why Disability Pride matters.” Read More: TikTok’s new hack might save your skin – “In a world that demands we cure ourselves” the TikToker said, “we celebrate our disabled bodies (and) the ways in which they have kept us alive.” She goes on to explain, “our pride is a message of resistance and radical self-love.” Standup comedian Bodhrán Mullan gave their followers a quick-fire education on hearing aids. “Don’t shout at people wearing hearing aids,” he said. “Our hearing has become very sensitive. You’re just being mean.” Other TikTokers have spoken openly about the lack of brand support. Brands such as H&M have previously been accused of performative activism during LGBTQ+ Pride Month. During Disability Pride, however, the silence hasn’t exactly gone unnoticed. “Only one brand/company acknowledged it,” stated model Shelby Lynch. “When are people going to acknowledge we exist and help us with equality?” Fellow model and Encephalitis survivor Lucy Dawson (@ludawinthesky) said “it’s ok cos (sic) still proud AF and know which brands not to support in future.” Others have utilized the hashtag simply to flex on everyone else. TikToker @wheelierin posted a video about being “hot,” stating her “fit goes hard.” With each passing year, Disability Pride celebrations have become bigger and brighter. TikTok’s controversial Devious Lick challenge set to continue with “slapping” of teachers – Dexerto
TikTok’s controversial Devious Lick challenge set to continue with “slapping” of teachers TikTok: Joakima Mayes/UnsplashThe Devious Lick trend sent schools and TikTok into chaos but there are apparently more to come that could cause even more trouble as time goes on. TikTok may have started out life as an app for mainly music, dance, and art videos, but it has, more recently, resembled Vine when that was in its heyday. Some of the app’s most viral trends have come from comedic skits or dangerous pranks, but there haven’t been too many that have gained more notoriety than the Devious Lick. The trend, for anyone that missed it, had students going into their schools and trying to steal – lick – some form of school property. For many, the bathrooms were the easy targets as soap dispensers, doors, and sinks were ruined. Though, things could be about to go up another notch in a violent manner. More TikTok school challenges apparently planned On September 25, TikToker Joakima Mayes – a teacher herself – started picking up some views when she posted a video about students apparently planning a ‘Smack a Staff Member’ challenge in October. In warning other teachers, Mayes’ post picked up some steam as she advised others to tell their children that following through with the unusual challenge would be assault. As the video got around, many commenters agreed that they’d press charges against anyone who may try to target them, while others asked for the full list. In a follow-up post, the Teacher showed the list of tasks that had apparently been planned for the next few months. On this list was, of course, the Devious Lick and other prior challenges that have done the rounds on TikTok. While a handful of the challenges are seemingly harmless – like getting students to skip a day and move signs around the buildings to confuse people – there are a few eyebrow-raising ideas that involve being violent and abusive towards other students, which is concerning. “Nobody taught these kids about how all of these things are very illegal?” asked one viewer. “Can we start a “turn in all your homework” challenge?” joked another. Some have questioned if these challenges will actually be followed through on, given just how much controversy the Devious Lick trend created, especially with schools handing out suspensions and other punishments. Others have questioned the validity of the email and if it’s all a bit of a ruse for something bigger. Either way, we’ll have to keep an eye on it.

TikTok’s “budget Ozempic” trend leads to laxative shortage in the US – Dexerto
TikTok’s “budget Ozempic” trend leads to laxative shortage in the US TikTok: nadyaokamotoThe US is currently facing a laxative shortage, with doctors suspecting the spike in purchases comes from a disturbing TikTok trend encouraging “budget Ozempic.” If you’re on the internet, chances are you’ve heard of Ozempic. It’s a medication typically used by adults with type 2 diabetes and helps manage blood sugar but has also been found to help with weight loss. This is because the active ingredient, semaglutide, not only helps the pancreas produce insulin but also suppresses a person’s appetite. Due to this, many celebrities have used Ozempic to drop weight quickly, causing the mediation to go viral. Not only has Ozempic become such a popular weight loss medication that those with type 2 diabetes are struggling to access it, but many are now looking for cheaper alternatives and settling on laxatives. This is because without insurance, Ozempic can quickly empty the bank with a single pen listed as $935.77 by the manufacturer. Drugstores and supermarkets across the US are now facing a laxative shortage due to so many looking to purchase “budget Ozempic,” with popular brand names including Miralax, Ex-Lax, and Glycolax. However, using laxatives long-term can be dangerous, and although many people are claiming they work as a “detox,” the main weight lost using laxatives is water weight. This loss of water weight can result in dehydration and an imbalance in electrolytes, which are important for muscle strength, nerves in your heart, and your colon. So, maybe next time you’re looking to “beat the belly bloat” or lose some extra pounds, stick to a healthy diet and regular exercise rather than recommendations from TikTok. TikTok’s Cody Orlove responds to Zoe Laverne abuse accusations – Dexerto
TikTok’s Cody Orlove responds to Zoe Laverne abuse accusations Instagram: codyorloveFormer TikTok couple Cody Orlove and Zoe Laverne broke up in June 2020 after over two years together, and now Orlove has responded to claims that he was physically abusive throughout the relationship. For a long time, Cody Orlove and Zoe Laverne seemed to have a very strong and stable relationship despite their young age, with their content across the likes of YouTube and TikTok always performing well and the two seeming to be the real deal. The break-up, though, wasn’t massively shocking to everyone, especially considering the fact that they broke up in March 2019 over accusations of Laverne cheating. What came out in the weeks following their breakup, though, has been hard for some fans, and particularly the social media stars, with accusations of physical abuse picking up among Zoe’s friends and fans. As seen in the video below, Laverne admits that she was abused by her ex and even provides audio of a situation between them that seemingly got out of hand. After the two unfollowed each other on social media, Orlove has now put out a statement on Instagram denying the accusations, saying that while the leaked audio was real, there were “never any marks or physical damage” between them. He added, “the suggestion I abused her has been skewed and misrepresents everything I believe as a person.” He also adds that, as teens, they found themselves in a toxic relationship where they “both participated in unhealthy behavior at times,” apologizing for his behavior and saying that he “intends to learn from his mistakes.” Fans have argued that there are two sides to every story, and clearly a complex relationship has occurred between Orlove and Laverne. Hopefully, justice prevails and both parties get the help they need to get through this, regardless of the outcome.

TikTok’s Ariana Grande lookalike Paige Niemann under fire for “scary” wedding photos recreation – Dexerto
TikTok’s Ariana Grande lookalike Paige Niemann under fire for “scary” wedding photos recreation Instagram: PaigeNiemann/ArianaGrandeTikTok’s Ariana Grande lookalike, Paige Niemann, has come under fire from fans of the musician for recreating bridal photos, with some labeling it as “scary” and “weird.” TikTok may have started out life as a way for users to show off their singing and dancing skills, but it has become so much more than that over the years. Now, the video-sharing app is dominated by skits, trends, and everything else you can think of. In recent weeks, many celebrity lookalikes have taken over the app, with some fans not being able to tell the difference between the celeb and their doppelganger. Paige Niemann has become well-known for looking so incredibly like Ariana Grande, and the pair have even exchanged DMs in the past. However, some of Ariana’s fans aren’t best pleased with Niemann’s new posts. On August 4, the social media star was back to showing off her canny resemblance to the singer, posting photos of herself recreating Grande’s “bridal look.” While her Instagram post racked up over 175,000 likes, and Niemann had asked for what everyone thought of her doing more creations, the comments have been turned off. The TikToker had also asked that people “don’t send hate” in her caption too, but it seems as if the backlash from fans of the singer overwhelmed the comments section. View this post on Instagram While they couldn’t reply on Instagram, many fans of Grande did take to other platforms to take digs at Niemann’s photos. “Paige Niemann is NOT “taking inspiration” from Ariana Grande, she is blatantly copying Ariana and has been for years at this point, it’s just not normal,” said one fan. “She’s so scary at this point for real…,” added another. It remains to be seen if she’ll continue the recreations given the backlash, but it is clear that they’re popular with plenty of others.

As he walked in, he looked visibly amazed and said “now baby, where did you get them?.. Baby that a*s,” before even exclaiming that he wanted some himself adding, “you gotta send me the link then we both getting them in every color.” In even more TikToks, one woman recorded her husband’s reaction after he got home from work, and he was caught simply just staring, while in another a man lifted his girlfriend up and exclaimed “We’re making another baby!” TikToker Abbie Herbert’s husband also enjoyed her purchase, and said “Do they come in different colors? You should get them all…I need to get myself a pair of those.” Where to buy the leggings There are a few different brands of leggings that according to TikTok, will all achieve similar results. The most popular brand for getting the desired look is Seasum, and more specifically the Honeycomb textured yoga pants that they sell. They come in several different colors and patterns and are at an affordable price of no more than $31. There are also other options that achieve the same effect and the names can normally be found in the comment section underneath viral TikToks about the leggings. These include brands called DCCDU and AIMILIA — both can be found on Amazon for similar prices.

TikTok’s Annie LeBlanc calls out fans for ‘not minding their business’ – Dexerto
TikTok’s Annie LeBlanc calls out fans for ‘not minding their business’ Instagram: annieleblancTikTok star and singer Annie LeBlanc has hit back at nosy fans in a video on her friend’s live, criticizing people for trying to label her. [jwplayer MvEjv9It] Despite only being 15 years old, Annie LeBlanc has picked up a firm fanbase online. When she isn’t acting or singing, she is building her profile as a near-unrivaled influencer, with 16.5 million TikTok followers and 8.9 million Instagram followers. On TikTok, she’s known for her lip-syncing and dance videos, but one of her most recent TikToks has caused fans to speculate about her romantic interests in boys and girls, or, more generally, what “vibes” she gives off. The video in question depicts LeBlanc lip syncing to Coyote Theory’s hit “This Side of Paradise,” wearing a sweatshirt and backwards cap over her braid. This TikTok, which is part of a wider trend of people lip-syncing to the tune, caused fans in the comment section to go into overdrive, with several speculating that LeBlanc swings both ways in her love life. One user said that they were “getting very bi vibes from Annie” while another user said that their “gaydar is pinging” after seeing the video. This speculation comes after viewers started pairing Annie with best friend and fellow content creator Jayden Bartels. Christening the two “Jayannie,” several fans came out to say that they “shipped” the pair, with one user saying “I feel like they’re dating” after the pair posted a TikTok lip syncing to the song “Don’t Run Away” by Let it Shine. However, after days of fan deliberations, Annie decided to put these rumors to bed once and for all during a live with Jayden. During the video, Jayden refers to Annie’s latest TikTok, saying that her romantic preferences are “all they [the commenters] are talking about.” Bartels adds that its “not anyone’s business” who she’s attracted to, with LeBlanc in agreement, saying: “Not that it matters.” She then goes to to clarify that while she likes boys, she doesn’t like girls, thereby shutting down those commenters who thought that she was or dating her best friend Jayden or swinging both ways. https://www.instagram.com/p/CF7TkwXHKv6/ When the video was obtained by Instagram page TikTok Room, users were very vocal about the way in which fans “assumed” LeBlanc’s preferences. In a comment that received over 14,000 likes, one user said: “Please don’t assume someone’s s*xuality”. Addressing similar concerns, another user said in a comment that received over 10,000 likes that “assuming someone’s s*xuality isn’t funny” or “productive.” Referring to commenters suggesting she is bi based on her outfit in the TikTok, one user added that “clothes don’t define someone,” while a further user asked, “does it really matter whether she likes boys or girls?” Whatever fans think of LeBlanc, the teenager’s decision to shut down rumors should hopefully quell any unwarranted future speculation.

TikTokker explains how she managed to live in her car for over a year Instagram/nikitacrumpTikTok star Nikita Crump has managed to pull off the incredible feat of living in her car, a 2012 Honda Civic, for over one year. Now, she has explained how she was able to pull it off in a new YouTube video. Crump’s journey began in a video first uploaded on November 3, 2019 where she explained how she officially told her landlord she would be moving out of her home and into her car. According to Crump, this wasn’t some impromptu decision and she had been spending a few months actively thinking about it before taking the plunge. Despite having a nice house with affordable rent and good roommates, she felt moving into her car was something she “had to do.” Since then, she has successfully spent a whole year living in her car and marked the anniversary of her first night by explaining how she is able to stay cool or warm at night. In the backseat of her car, the YouTuber keeps a pillow and too fuzzy blankets which she uses to cover herself up. Along with her sweatpants and sweatshirt, she is able to stay warm even in the winter months. However, occasionally she has to put a jacket on if it’s ever especially cold outside. “In Northern California, a lot of the warmer days are still cool nights, so I’m fortunate that most nights throughout the year are totally bearable, but there’s totally been the occasion where it is hot, I am sweating and I wear as minimal clothing as I can,” she explained. Luckily, she also has a rechargeable fan which can help her get through the night if need be despite only staying charged for one day. In addition to just staying cool, the TikTok sensation also revealed she showers at the gym and keeps plenty of personal hygiene products inside her bag including shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant to name a few. Now, Crump is hitting the road and embarking on a two-month-long trip around the United States where she’ll be documenting her experiences. The entertainer’s decision to live in her car has paid dividends, as she currently has over one million followers on TikTok.

TikTok’s Addison Rae to star in ‘She’s All That’ Remake – Dexerto
TikTok’s Addison Rae to star in ‘She’s All That’ Remake Instagram: Addison Rae / Miramax Films[jwplayer ksH6zuKH]Yep, you read that right: High-profile TikTok star Addison Rae is moving from the smartphone screen to the silver screen, set to play in Hollywood’s upcoming remake of the 1999 romantic comedy ‘She’s All That.’ ‘She’s All That’ stands as one of the 90’s most classic romcoms, following the story of high schooler Zachary Stiller, whose snobby girlfriend ditches him for a reality TV star. In a bet with his friend, Zach is tasked with turning one of his female classmates into a candidate worthy of Prom Queen to challenge the notion that no one could replace his ex-girlfriend, leading him to art student Laney Boggs. It turns out the upcoming remake of the beloved film will be totally gender-swapped, meaning that a female student will seek to transform one of her nerdy high school classmates into ‘Prom King.’ As for Addison’s role in all this? She will be playing the titular character, who, in the 21st century remake, is a famous influencer — a role she’s already proven herself more than worthy for. That’s not the only notable thing about this remake, either; the movie’s original producers, Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay, and writer R. Lee Fleming, are all getting back together for its new iteration, spelling out an optimistic outlook for fans of the first flick. “This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of Miramax storytelling, part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV,” said Miramax CEO Bill Block in a report from Variety. Rae is more than ready to smash the part, we’re sure, seeing as how she reportedly makes the most money out of anyone on TikTok and boasts a whopping 60 million followers on the viral video app. Addison likewise has her very own makeup line and podcast, and is even rubbing elbows with the Kardashians on a regular basis. “My dreams are coming true!” Rae said of her casting in an Instagram post. “I’m so excited to finally share the news that I am getting the opportunity to make my acting debut in HE’S ALL THAT, which is a remake of one of my all-time favorite movies, SHE’S ALL THAT. …I can’t wait to work with this amazing team and everyone involved in making the film and am so thankful to everyone who gave me this incredible opportunity.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CFApEeMhmO7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Considering the folks behind this film, we’re hopeful that it won’t turn out like other influencer movies (think Logan Paul’s ‘Airplane Mode’) — but there’s no telling until we see the movie for ourselves. What do you think of this surprising casting? Let us know on Twitter @DexertoTrending!

TikTokers & YouTubers set for more podcast deals amid high demand – Dexerto
TikTokers & YouTubers set for more podcast deals amid high demand YouTube / TikTok / Unsplash: SoundtrapThere could be more podcast deals on the way for creators popular on the likes of YouTube and TikTok, as a new survey has revealed that there is a particularly high demand for podcasts hosted by influencers. Over the past few years, the podcast industry has proven to be a lucrative one, with some big names in the industry getting huge deals to host their own shows. In late 2020, Joe Rogan got an insane $100 million deal with Spotify to move his wildly popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast across to Spotify exclusively. This was followed by another extraordinary $60 million deal for Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ show. It looks like there could be an increase in the number of influencer podcasts in the future, as the results of a new survey have revealed that podcasts from YouTubers and other content creators are in high demand. The survey, conducted by Acast and Nielsen, looked into who US listeners want to see podcasts from, and the results overwhelmingly showed that people are interested in seeing new shows from ‘YouTubers and influencers,’ with 39% of the vote. In second and third place are ‘health experts’ and ‘music personalities’ with 28% each, and last is ‘TV personalities’ with 27%. There are plenty of influencers who have already been making waves with their own podcasts. Logan Paul’s show ‘ImPaulsive’ has over 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, with the most popular episode having been viewed 14 million times. Podcasting has also been popular among many TikTok stars. Addison Rae launched her podcast ‘Mama Knows Best’ in 2020 with her mom Sheri as a co-host, which was later renamed ‘That Was Fun?’ when she launched the second season of the popular show. Charli and Dixie D’Amelio are also two notable stars who collaborated on their own show ‘2 Chix’ where they discussed topical stories from their lives. With a clear high demand for more social media stars from across the internet to get involved with the podcast game, there’s a chance we could be seen more big deals in the future.

TikTokers warned against taping their mouths shut for sleep in bizarre trend – Dexerto
TikTokers warned against taping their mouths shut for sleep in bizarre trend TikTok: LexFiishTikTokers are going against the advice of doctors as they continue to tape their mouths up at night in a bid to achieve a good night’s sleep. We all know there is nothing better than getting in a solid eight hours of sleep, and TikTokers are blissfully chasing that same feeling. However, the lengths some TikTok users are going to are cause for concern. Doctors are warning against a strange trend that has TikTokers taping up their mouths – but only when it’s time to hit the hay. Doctors are warning TikTokers against the dangerous trend According to Dr. Aarti Grover from the Center for Sleep Medicine at Tufts Medical Center, applying tape to your mouth to reduce snoring and the like is highly “problematic.” “Imagine you have an obstruction in your nasal cavity either from allergies or you’re congested and on top of that you tape your mouth” explained Grover. Grover added that “it could be problematic because you’re not getting enough air in from your nasal or your oral cavity.” Dr. Kathryn Boling of the Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore added that the trend is a “terrible idea.” “There are a lot of TikTok trends I see where I am like, goodness gracious, where do these things come from?” added Boling. TikTokers such as LexFiish are advocating for the unique trend that is intended to give people “the deepest sleep they’ll ever experience” but for obvious reasons, taping the mouth reduces oxygen flow – which can be troubling in a number of cases. For now, if you’re struggling to squeeze in those precious hours of sleep, it’s probably best just to snore away to your heart’s content.

The food community is huge on TikTok, with users constantly sharing their favorite cooking hacks, recipes, and fails, with their followers, often garnering millions of likes and views for their food-related content. One ‘hack’ that has gained attention on the app on multiple occasions over the past couple of years, involves cooking steak in a toaster. In 2020, user itsmeju1iette, who posts bizarre food videos for comedy purposes, went viral with a video of her using a toaster to cook steak, garnering over a million likes. While Juliette’s video appeared to just be a joke, a number of other users have since gone on to film themselves trying out the cooking method themselves. Now, users are being warned against trying the potentially dangerous hack. On November 15, the London Fire Brigade reuploaded Juliette’s video to Twitter, along with the caption: “What you having for dinner? This #Electricalsafetyweek we’re reminding people to only use electrical products for their designated use. Don’t cook steaks in a toaster.” Although the trend first blew up in 2020, videos about cooking steaks in toasters have popped up on TikTok every few months since then, and commenters are equally as baffled every time they see a video featuring the strange cooking method. It appears as though many of the most popular videos including the trend are intended as a joke, but users are still being warned against attempting it due to the potential fire risk.

TikTokers wanted by New York police over ‘Kool-Aid Man’ challenge destruction YouTube: @SCPDTV/FoxA New York police department has called for help to identify a group of TikTokers for demolishing a part of a fence while doing the “Kool-Aid Man” challenge. With over a billion monthly users on TikTok worldwide, there have been a wide variety of new trends popping up over the years. The ‘Kool-Aid Man’ challenge has skyrocketed in popularity recently, which has TikTokers jumping through fences (often damaging them), to mimic the iconic Kool-Aid commercials. Teens in New York were charged with “criminal mischief” last month after breaking through a fence in New York, and now it has happened again just a few weeks later. TikTokers wanted after ‘Kool-Aid Man’ challenge A video uploaded on April 2, 2023, by the Suffolk County Police Department, shows a group of kids smashing into a homeowner’s privacy fence on March 18, 2023. “Wanted for East Northport Criminal Mischief,” the video says. TikTokers warned against calamine lotion beauty trend by health experts – Dexerto
TikTokers warned against calamine lotion beauty trend by health experts TikTok: curlybabygorly/ mireyariosTikTok users have been urged not to take part in the calamine lotion beauty trend as health experts claim it could cause permanent damage to their skin. TikTok has become a important tool for users picking up useful health, beauty, and make-up tips which could be impossible to find elsewhere on the internet. Just some of the bizarre but helpful trends that have popped on the app include using socks to curl your hair or prepping your skin for the summer. However, some of these trends have left medical professionals horrified, begging TikTok users not to try them for fear of the permanent damage they actually could cause. The latest of which is the calamine lotion make-up trend, which could cause severe reactions and skin damage. Calamine lotion TikTok beauty trend criticized by experts The calamine lotion beauty trend first started getting attention on TikTok in 2021. However, beauty and make-up influencers have continued to try out the hack in 2022. Calamine lotion is traditionally sold in pharmacies as a way to soothe common skin conditions ranging from sunburn to insect bites. It is also recommended for children suffering from chickenpox. Although, some TikTokers, particularly those who have oily-skin, have been using the medicine as a primer. Before using foundation, they cover their face in calamine to provide a base for their makeup as it supposedly soaks up any excess grease. Click here if the TikTok doesn’t load Yet, speaking to the Daily Mail, consultant dermatologist Dr Alia Ahmed at Frimley and Barts Health NHS Trusts warned: “Leaving calamine lotion on for prolonged periods on areas like the face, under or as makeup, can lead to excessive skin dryness, which will manifest as scaly or flaky patches with redness.” She added that calamine is designed to draw “moisture out of the skin” and also “exfoliates.” But, over-exfoliation can cause serious problems such as “rashes and sensitivity, and ultimately could cause damage to the skin barrier.” TikTok has become an essential source of information for all-skin types to personalize their skincare routine. However, this is one hack that medical experts are hoping will disappear.

TikToker’s viral video has internet split over if she got fired – Dexerto
TikToker’s viral video has internet split over if she got fired doublesidedadapter TikTokA viral TikTok is splitting the internet on a situation in which a store employee called out sick before getting a bizarrely ambiguous response that sounds like she got fired. Social media has given the internet plenty of confusing trends over the years like The Dress that had people fiercely debating if a garment was black and blue or gold and white. Not long after, a TikToker’s video, again, split viewers on a shirt’s color that baffled onlookers. It’s that kind of energy that produces some of the funniest ‘debates’ on TikTok and sends viewers through a loop after their concept of “see to believe” gets hilariously challenged. That happened again after doublesidedadapter’s video of her boss’s reply to calling out sick made the rounds as she questioned if she had been fired or not. Viral ‘Am I Fired?’ TikTok Racking up about 6 million and hundreds of thousands of likes, the TikToker was was floored by her manager’s response to calling out sick: “Ok no problem. Don’t came back more is slow.” Was it a sassy way of telling an employee not to bother coming back to work? Or was it a cool boss who was okay with the day off request who had some unfortunate autocorrect errors? Those questions have split TikTok users after doublesidedadapter shed light on her side of the events leading up to the text and the subsequent response when she tried to get clarification. “Is English his first language? Because if not, then he definitely meant don’t come back,” one user surmised. But not everyone was on the same page, with one person saying: “I really think he’s just saying don’t worry about it.” Luckily, the TikToker said it isn’t too consequential in her life should she be let go, but as it stands, her back-and-forth with her employers led her to believe she’s fired. Audiences weren’t sure what to make of the situation at first glance, making it one of TikTok’s latest funny favorites that’s been going viral.

TikTokers Vantalord & Chedurena start “beef” after ‘The Council of Men’ secrets revealed – Dexerto
TikTokers Vantalord & Chedurena start “beef” after ‘The Council of Men’ secrets revealed TikTok: Vantalord/ChedurenaTikTok creators Vantalord and Chedurena have started hilarious “beef” with each other after Che angered ‘The Council of Men’. The secret being a video discussing how men scratch themselves through their pockets. Alongside the hundreds of different trends and other various creators going viral on TikTok is the current hilarious “beef” between Vantalord and Chedurna after Che’ angered ‘The Council of Men.’ The council was created by Vantalord as a fictional name for males around the world. Their goal is to protect the “secrets” of man, and while it is all done in good fun, it’s started to take over the app. Its popularity has risen recently after Chedurna posted a video revealing a male secret, which is how men scratch themselves through the pockets in their pants. After Vantalord called him out, the creator went “rogue,” and started drama between the members of the council. Vantalord starts “beef” with Chedurna On January 4, Chedurna stitched a video from a creator that questioned the size of pockets on men’s pants, worried that they might hit themselves in their private area. In his video, he explained that pockets are designed to prevent that but they also allow you to scratch yourself without anyone else around you seeing it. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Fans of the creator quickly called him out for telling everyone secrets of the council, as well as tagging Vantalord in hopes of a response. The creator responded a day later, appearing angry in his response. He said: “A member of the high council, sharing secrets from the playbook. Tsk Tsk. I’m mortified. Grant this man our finest lawyers, and send the judge. He’s invited to the trial. He must plead!” (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Chedurna quickly responded to Vantalord’s comments, claiming that he has always been a “rogue” member of the council, refuses to stand trial, and will continue to leak secrets. It wasn’t long before Vanta replied, as he ordered the council to send “bounty hunters” to find Che as he was invited to “The TikTok Beef.” Soon after, dozens of viewers started duetting his videos with offers to help find the now-rogue council member. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Even after Vanta’s last response, Che refuses to stand down as claimed that for every bounty hunter that is sent for him, he will share another secret of the council. At the time of writing, ‘The TikTok Beef’ is still ongoing as the bounty hunters are being approved one by one. We’ll be sure to update this article if anything major happens between the creators.

TikToker’s video on how much she makes in tips backfires: “I’m now tipping less” – Dexerto
TikToker’s video on how much she makes in tips backfires: “I’m now tipping less” TikTok: amanda4xxA TikToker revealed how much she made while working a three-hour shift at Texas Roadhouse, shocking viewers and leaving many claiming they’ll be tipping less. Tipping etiquette is a hot discussion that often pops up on TikTok. It may be optional in name, yet tipping makes up a large part of service workers’ salaries in America. Leaving without doing so is bound to result in some disgruntled waitstaff. While a 15-20% tip is considered standard, anything under 20% is often seen as a “bad tip.” Now, however, many users of the platform believe they may have been tipping too much after a Texas Roadhouse server shared how much she made in tips working a three-hour shift. TikToker Amanda, who goes by ‘amanda4xx’ on the platform, posted a video showing she made $150.14 in tips alone. Added to her hourly, this came to an impressive $59 an hour. Viewers were left in disbelief, with many deciding to tip less as a result. One wrote, “Damn I’ve been tipping 20-25% tip based on my service now I’m gonna do 15-18% now [sic].” Another commenter was also bitter over the amount, especially compared to their own earnings; “Meanwhile, people like me doing construction making $30. Yeah, this checks out. you’ve convinced me to tip less.” Unbothered by the backlash, Amanda posted a follow-up video in which she continued to surprise viewers. This time, she made $164.94 in tips over the course of a four-hour shift, averaging $50 an hour. She also revealed her hourly pay was $36. However, it seems Amanda’s experience isn’t universal. One commenter wrote, “When I worked at Texas Roadhouse we had to tip share and the base pay for a server was like $2.13.” Another agreed, replying, “Same! I made like $4 an hour. And then all tips went in a hat and [split] at the end of shift for the whole crew.” Considering that the average hourly pay for a server in the US is $7.45, you might just want to reconsider lowering your tip. TikTokers using share bots to rack up massive views & followers – Dexerto
TikTokers using share bots to rack up massive views & followers Unsplash: Olivier BergeronTikTok users are resorting to using share bots on their accounts in a bid to increase views and followers, as exploits become more accessible. Building up a loyal following on TikTok isn’t easy and can often take months to hit the big time if you’re lucky. However, TikTokers that are eager to fast track their follower count are resorting to using new exploitive methods. Among those methods is the use of coding via Replit, a method originally brought to the internet back in 2016. TikTok users continue to use coding methods to boost followers Grinding for followers and likes on TikTok is normally done the old-fashioned way, with consistent and entertainment uploads, but tools like Replit are dominating the platform. Tutorials for the share bot tools have flooded the popular video platform, making the notion of unsavory boosting more popular with smaller, growing creators. Coding tools, initially intended for educational purposes, are enabling users to manipulate TikTok feeds and increase exposure to the user’s desired video. Some videos within the #TikTokShareBot hashtag are blowing up beyond belief, with one video posted by user @coder.mohanadhosny gaining astounding traction. Using bots isn’t uncommon within ByteDance’s viral video application, as concerns previously examined the use of tools like Zefoy. You’ve likely come across fake accounts created by these applications, as they often take on the guise of a woman with a generic handle ‘user’ handle. all these bots liking my comment on george’s tiktok i’m scared pic.twitter.com/F9fWsVBpOb — syd 🐮 (@sydmorphia) February 22, 2021 While most users looking to gain popularity on TikTok won’t be complaining anytime soon, the ease of access to abuse the platform does spark security concerns.

The video, which shows an old woman leaving a theater alone after the movie ended, has led to a discussion regarding the ethics of filming older people, as users criticize the TikToker who recorded her. Viewers were upset about TikTok creators who film other people in public places without their consent. While the video was posted on July 28, it has amassed over 10 million views on TikTok in the days since. It was filmed by the creator @lisaturation, showing Barbie’s end credits rolling on the screen and Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For? was playing along with it, giving the whole clip a melancholy vibe. The TikTok’s caption read, “Saw this queen leave the theatre alone after Barbie,” and saw mixed reactions in the comment section. TikTok viewers slam creator for filming elderly woman without consent One of the top comments under the video reads, “Can we stop recording strangers? Just write it down or something,” which garnered over 9000 likes. The second most-liked comment read, “Gotta love old people in the wild.” Another comment that was previously the most-liked said the complete opposite as it read, “She is the beauty of loving yourself enough to go out alone.” However, the majority of the comment section asked the creator to leave the woman alone and deemed it inappropriate to film other people without their consent. TikToker nothingbutkap stitched the video and said, “This is what I’m talking about. Y’all would take videos and pictures of old people and just get on here and cry.” She captioned the clip, “Stop recording old people, y’all.” Even the reaction has over 2 million views on TikTok as she added, “Stop taking videos of old people. Stop it.” With over 2000 comments, most of the viewers agreed with her, arguing that anybody deciding to do things alone isn’t reason enough to pity them. A user even expressed their concern about being filmed like this without consent as they are trying to do more things alone. They wrote, “I’m starting to do things more and more alone now. I’m worried people are gonna post me with some sad music.” Another viewer shared their confusion about the original content becoming viral as the creator responded that “society thinks old people are sad for some reason.” TikToker hits back after criticism for filming old woman at Barbie movie The TikToker, who posted the original video, shared a compilation of old people walking around and living life in response to one of the popular comments. She captioned the video, “Old people hit different in Paris,” and reacted to a comment that urged her to stop recording strangers by posting another video. It included short videos of different people along with a voiceover where the voiceover explained that she does not want people to feel alone. Many other users were confused with her response as others questioned why she had multiple videos of strangers but some concluded that she might not have understood the point of the comment she responded to. This is just the latest debate to go viral on TikTok after a woman got dumped for having a male best friend.

TikTokers under fire for re-enacting Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial in “gross trend” – Dexerto
TikTokers under fire for re-enacting Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial in “gross trend” TikTok: @heyitsgingerandpepper, @nottooevilThe Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp trial has been dominating TikTok for weeks. With re-enactments popping up as a new trend on the platform, friends of Heard’s have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration. With the Heard v Depp trial picking up steam as a pop culture moment, for better or worse, it was only a matter of time for users on TikTok to start abstracting the trial away from the human emotion between two hurt people. A recent trend sparked by Heard’s testimony picks up on perceived inconsistencies in a statement she makes. Heard claims to have walked into a room, been ‘slapped across the face’, and then turned to face Depp before confronting him about the slap. The audio from this statement has been picked up and used in a parody of the idea that Amber turned after already entering a room. With the re-enactment videos being seen millions of times, and remakes featuring cats, costumes, and dances popping up daily, there’s no sign of TikTokers slowing down in their consumption of the trial as a form of entertainment media. https://www.tiktok.com/@heyitsgingerandpepper/video/7095159065109712130?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1&q=youhitmejohnny&t=1652313908203 Going on the offense, journalist, and friend of Heard’s, Eve Barlow opened up on Twitter to speak out against those “acting in bad faith.” The statement from Barlow continues with the assertation that “anyone actively mocking testimony about abuse is contributing to that silence.” Listen, anyone protecting the TikTok abuse of Amber Heard is acting in bad faith. You can’t argue that it doesn’t have a chilling effect on survivors from coming forward. Anyone actively mocking testimony about abuse is contributing to that silencing. Period. — Eve Barlow (@Eve_Barlow) May 9, 2022 The referenced silence being a documented reluctance to report domestic violence when it occurs. This is amidst accusations that “Amber Heard might be using Eve Barlow’s Twitter account during the trial.” Just a reminder Amber Heard MIGHT be using Eve Barlows twitter account during the trial. (There—Fixed it! I’ve also deleted the original due to spam hate for missing 1 critical word) 1) location is not on 2) verbiage does seem like Eve. — Marie Watsen (@MarieWatsen) May 11, 2022 Others have spoken up on the inappropriate nature of recreating the audio, stating: “Seemingly unpopular opinion but we shouldn’t be treating a domestic violence and sexual violence case like a Love Island season.” Seemingly unpopular opinion but we shouldn’t be treating a domestic violence and sexual violence case like a Love Island season. Jokes, TikToks, lip syncing videos, edits, YouTube videos, it’s absolutely bizarre no matter whether you believe Amber Heard or Johnny Depp — Jodie McCormack (@jodiemccormack) May 8, 2022 Calling out perceived inconsistencies in the way the alleged abuse has been handled is a recurring comment in the backlash against the enactment TikToks. It’s become a tiktok trend for people to do a comedic reenactment of Amber Heard describing her recollection of domestic violence. Wondering if people would think it’s funny to do this with literally any other person describing alleged abuse. pic.twitter.com/Ev1dJnZdsN — Kalhan (@KalhanR) May 7, 2022 There is a resounding echo on Twitter that the trial is dealing with difficult and painful memories for Depp, Heard, and anyone else who has gone through abusive situations at home. The defamation trial is currently on a week-long break with the jury urged to desist from viewing anything related online, and is set to reconvene in Virginia on Monday, May 16.

Shaun the Sheep is a British children’s TV program and spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit series that follows the adventures of Shaun, a lamb, on a North English farm. The series has cemented itself as a classic in kid’s media… but a group of TikTokers are coming under fire for how they decided to celebrate the show. Indonesian TikTok user ‘vinaputrip’ decided to get together with their buddies to throw a Shaun the Sheep-themed party in December 2023. TikToker sparks backlash over viral Shaun the Sheep-themed party Looking at Shaun’s design, he’s covered in fluffy white wool with dark skin on his face and extremities — but viewers are noticing that a few partygoers decided to cover their lips in red face paint, sparking some accusations that attendees were wearing “blackface.” A video of the celebration has gone viral on TikTok in January 2024 as viewers pour in with criticisms of the influencer and their friends, racking up over 24 million views over the past month. “I like Shaun the sheep, but I could NEVER do this,” one user wrote. “Last time I checked, Shaun DOES NOT have red lips,” another pointed out. “Not one of them was like, ‘Let’s not do this,’ lol?” yet another said. However, other commenters aren’t so sure the group intended to be offensive with their costumes, with one viewer writing: “Y’all, as a Black person, blackface is only blackface when you are interpreting a Black person. They are not doing blackface! Please grow up.” “I know they don’t mean anything by it, but I would absolutely do a double take if I saw this in public,” one added. Vinaputrip has uploaded a few other videos of the party but, at the time of writing, has not responded to the backlash and ensuing debate on their profile, leaving many viewers demanding answers.

TikToker’s turbulence Jell-O hack will help you feel safer flying – Dexerto
TikToker’s turbulence Jell-O hack will help you feel safer flying TikTok: anna..paull / Unsplash: Andrew PalmerEver been on a plane where the turbulence has you fearing for your life? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. But now Influencer Anna Paul has shared a pilot’s Jell-O tip to help conquer those pre-flight nerves. Fear of flying, or aviophobia, is an anxiety disorder that approximately 40 percent of people suffer from — despite the fact that commercial air travel is considered incredibly safe in the US. In fact, professor of atmospheric science Paul Williams said that only three percent of the atmosphere has light turbulence at flight cruising levels, and only one percent has moderate turbulence. Nonetheless, statistics tend not to mean much in the face of a phobia, and certainly not when your plane starts experiencing turbulence mid-flight. Luckily, influencer Anna Paul has a handy Jell-O trick she learned directly from a pilot that should put some anxious thoughts to rest. In the scenario that Anna presented, her little cup of red Jell-O represents “the air that you’re flying in,” with a small clump of napkin filling in as the plane. The napkin was subsequently stuffed into the middle of the Jell-O, as Anna Paul explained, “That is you flying through the sky. There’s pressure from the bottom, pressure from the top, from the sides — pressure coming from everywhere.” The influencer then goes on to showcase what happens when a plane encounters turbulence. Simulating the experience by gently hitting the top of the Jell-O, the red jelly begins to shake with the napkin inside bobbing about. “You feel the plane shaking, but [the plane] is not just going to fall down,” Anna said. “It’s stuck in there because there’s pressure coming from the bottom and the sides… so you can just chill there, you’re just wriggling in jelly.” To be a little more specific for those still confused, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has described turbulence as “air movement created by atmospheric pressure, jet streams, air around mountains, cold or warm weather fronts, or thunderstorms. It can be unexpected and can happen when the sky appears to be clear.” There has also never been a plane crash from turbulence, which should reassure some nervous flyers. A majority of injuries caused by turbulence come from not wearing a seatbelt. So, next time you’re feeling anxious about getting on a plane, buckle up, do some breathing exercises, and think of yourself as sitting safely in a little cup of Jell-O. TikTokers turn Jeffrey Dahmer polaroids into a disturbing new challenge – Dexerto
TikTokers turn Jeffrey Dahmer polaroids into a disturbing new challenge Netflix/TikTokA disturbing new TikTok trend has emerged that sees users on the platform reacting to the real-life polaroid photos of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims. Jeffrey Dahmer has become a hot topic on the internet thanks to the new Netflix series ‘Dahmer’ that chronicles the life of one of the United States’ most notorious serial killers. One of the show’s key components is the polaroid photos that Dahmer would take of his victims. Police found the photos in a drawer in Dahmer’s bedroom back in 1991. Now, TikToker users have begun searching for the polaroid photos to post their reactions, resulting in others blasting them for partaking in such a macabre trend. TikToker users blast Jeffrey Dahmer trend While TikTok has taken some videos down for being too graphic, others have gone viral posting their reactions to the photos. “TikTok took down the unedited one with 130K views,” one video featuring blurred images was captioned. “[The] polaroids are intense to show here,” another said in a video that has been viewed over 1.4 million times. On Twitter, fans took issue with how some TikTokers were partaking in the trend. “I don’t know why people are bragging about not feeling sick after watching the Jeffrey Dahmer film or seeing the real polaroids,” someone wrote. “Like, you should feel sick?” Others reiterated a point about the victims being real people and not characters in a Netflix show. In any case, it does seem like TikTok is taking some of the clips down, but only the ones that include very graphic content. The reactions, however, are doing very well for views, so it’s easy to see why some creators are capitalizing on the trend despite its subject matter. This isn’t the first time TikTokers have been in hot water over Dahmer. In September, fan edits of the show appeared online prompting a lot of backlash from users on the platform.

TikToker’s trip to gynecologist in foreign country ends in disaster – Dexerto
TikToker’s trip to gynecologist in foreign country ends in disaster TikTok: cassidymarierobertsonA TikToker went viral after sharing a story of her trip to a gynecologist in a foreign country, which ended in disaster. The Canadian content creator shared her embarrassing encounter with a gynecologist, whom she saw in Germany for her pap smear. “It came to the time where I needed to go see a gynecologist because I needed to have, you know, my yearly checkup,” TikToker Cassidy shared in a viral video, which has over 1.3 million views. She continued: “So my mother in law, bless her, she makes an appointment for me and she says, ‘Did you bring a dress?’ and I’m like, ‘It’s cold, why would I bring a dress?’ And she was like, ‘You want to borrow a dress?’ And I was like, ‘Why would I need to borrow a dress?’” “So that was a mistake, let me tell you that,” the regretful TikToker said of not borrowing a dress. “So I get to the gynecologist and I walk in the door and I am in a library. Like it’s literally a library just with like a chair with stirrups in the middle of the room,” Cassidy explained. After giving her medical history, the doctor asked her to go into the closet where she assumed she’d be given a disposable gown that is often provided when visiting a gynecologist in Canada. “So I go inside and it’s just like an H&M fitting room,” she said. “There is no paper dress and really bad backlit mirrors. And that’s when I realized that my mother in law told me to bring a dress.” The TikToker, who was struggling to contain her laughter, revealed that it was in that moment she realized she made a “fatal flaw,” and had to go back to the library in just her sweater, “looking like Winnie the Pooh.” The doctor then mimed that it was time for her breast examination, which he described by slapping his hands over his own chest. In a follow-up video, she continued the story: “So then I just take my sweater off in the middle of this library and I’m just wearing high-waisted jeans.” “And this doctor, he just started slapping my t*tties around like he was trying to catch a charge,” she said, while laughing hysterically. She explained that she was so anxious and stressed about the whole situation that she started sweating, leading to another issue. “If you’ve never had a breast examination before, they have to check under the armpit,” she said, while mimicking what the gynecologist did. “And he goes, he just goes ‘wet.’” The doctor then washed his hands, as the TikToker awkwardly stood there and watched. Cassidy concluded the TikTok video by sharing some useful advice: “So if you’re going to the gynecologist in another country, bring a dress.”

TikTokers stunned after reportedly uncovering Chick-fil-A asking workers for free labor TikTok: bona.bonesA TikTok user has gone viral after apparently exposing a Chick-fil-A restaurant in North Carolina for hiring “volunteer” workers without paying them. TikTok users are constantly going viral for everything ranging from prank challenges, to new dance trends, to so much more. One rapidly growing area of TikTok is videos related to fast food restaurants like McDonald’s and Chipotle. Although these are typically lighthearted stories, one new viral video has users concerned for a certain restaurant’s employees. TikTok users worried after Chick-fil-A caught apparently hiring free workers User bona.bones posted a video on July 27 to the backdrop of a Facebook post from a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The post says, “We are looking for volunteers for our new drive-through express! Earn five free entrees per shift.” Bona.bones was stunned by the post and said, “If you want another reason to hate Chick-fil-A, Chick-fil-A in Hendersonville is currently ‘hiring’ volunteers to work the drive-through. Unpaid volunteers.” She then claims that the location’s Facebook page defended the post in the comments by saying teat many people have already taken them up on the offer. Bones finished her thoughts, “It’s despicable for any employer to not pay somebody who is working for them, let alone a corporation as big as Chick-fil-A.” Users in the comment section were equally as horrified, and one claimed the practice is “super illegal.” Another said, “NC resident here – 100% illegal. You can’t have someone volunteer and do the same tasks someone usually gets paid for.” Chick-fil-A has yet to provide a response to the viral video.

TikTokers spark debate after smuggling plant through airport inside Chick-fil-A cup – Dexerto
TikTokers spark debate after smuggling plant through airport inside Chick-fil-A cup TikTok: .rafayveroTwo TikTokers have sparked an online debate after smuggling a live plant cut-off through an airport by keeping it hidden in a Chick-fil-A cup. When it comes to traveling by plane, airports have strict rules in place surrounding what passengers are allowed to take with them on a flight. These security measures aim to keep all safe, however, one TikToker has sparked debate after revealing they smuggled a live plant cut-off through an airport. Rafa and Vero, who go by ‘.rafayvero’ on TikTok, posted a video of the cut-off hidden in a Chick-fil-A cup after they spotted a “pretty plant” in the airport and took a piece home to propagate. However, many have taken issue with the pair’s antics, pointing out the dangers of smuggling a live plant. Matt Lipari, going by ‘mattlipari’ online, took to TikTok to slam the couple’s action in a stitch. “For real, I’m not joking, I hope you got arrested when you landed,” Matt began. “I know there’s an invasive species hitching a ride on that plant… It’s about to be decimating ecosystems because you wanted your little Chick-fil-A smuggling operation to go successfully.” Warning the couple that bringing wildlife into a new country is taken very seriously, Matt said, “You should be in a maximum security jail for endangering my life with your little fern in a cup. I won’t be having it.” Not all were convinced by the dangers listed by Matt, with some viewers stating it was a common household plant that the couple had stolen a cut-off from; “That’s a type of pothos plant and it’s very popular in many countries as house plants, I have two and honestly 10/10.” “I would have done the same thing,” one person wrote. Another said, “As long as you’re flying domestic I feel like this is fine.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikToker’s Starbucks order hack has users freaking out Unsplash: Naufal Giffari/Q.U.I.TikToker Justine Alvarez is going viral for a recent video she uploaded in which she claimed she found the perfect hack for Starbucks lovers, ordering her dream drink for less than $5. Starbucks is one of the most well-known and popular coffee chains across America and the rest of the world. And while it may be many people’s go-to, the price of the drinks is still high. As a result, people are often posting hacks online to help people purchase their drink of choice for as little cost as possible. In a now-viral TikTok, Justine Alvarez posted a video on the platform revealing her hack for getting a Starbucks coffee for under $5. The video, which has almost 4 million views at the time of writing, has been viewed and commented on by many of the 4.9 million followers Alveraz has, as well as other coffee lovers on the app. “This one’s for all the Starbucks people that can’t seem to go a day without a drink,” Justine began, “But for some reason, we’re spending oodles amount of money on drinks.” “So anyways, I walked inside of Target, and I was like, ‘Today’s the day. I am ordering a f**king custom drink. I just tried it before I started filming, and you guys, it’s actually so freaking good.” The TikToker then went on to reveal exactly what she ordered and put in the drink, stating it was a “triple shot of blonde espresso over ice” with “salted caramel cold foam, oat milk, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla, and one pump of toffee nut.” “You don’t have to get all of those things if you don’t want to,” Justine then told her followers. “If you’re not a cold foam girlie, you don’t have to get the cold foam. It adds an extra dollar, but this was $4 … and it’s a Venti cup! However, others in the comments have begun revealing that they tried this hack and the results weren’t exactly the same. “Ordered this today, and it was $5.74,” one user wrote, while others added, “OK, what am I doing wrong? It comes out to $8.97,” and “this was $6.74, DUDEEE I TRUSTED.” While this hack seems to be hit-and-miss, it won’t stop others from doing their best to try and find the cheapest Starbucks order they can. TikToker’s sour candy freakout has internet convinced she’s “possessed” – Dexerto
TikToker’s sour candy freakout has internet convinced she’s “possessed” TikTok: underratedhijabiA TikToker’s shocking reaction to trying the “most sour sweet ever” has left her viewers “praying” after they claimed she’d been “possessed”. Referred to as “the most sour sweet ever”, Black Death Mega Sours are not for the faint of heart. There’s even a warning label urging caution just in case it wasn’t already clear that this candy comes with a challenge. However, that wasn’t enough to scare off one TikToker, who goes by ‘underratedhijabi’ on the platform. With her content surrounding “food and candy”, she took upon the task of purchasing the sweets and sharing her reaction online. And the candy seemingly delivered, resulting in what viewers dubbed an “out of body experience” that saw the TikToker “possessed”. Rocking herself back and forth after the initial “extremely sour coating” wore off, the creator didn’t hesitate to dive back into the bag for a second candy. This second attempt went much like the first, with the TikToker left screaming and thrashing in her car due to what she claimed felt like a “metal rod at the back of [her] throat”. “I’ve never ever tried something more sour,” she later told The Post, choosing to stay anonymous. “It’s so sour that it took my brain a while to process what I was feeling and tasting.” Luckily, this isn’t her first experience with sour sweets. In a previous video, the creator showed off her own “Sour Masala” which featured another famously eye-watering candy. Viewers on TikTok were evidently amused by the creator’s taste test of the Black Death Mega Sours, jumping to the comments to share their thoughts; “[She] went through all the stages of grief in those moments.” Another person wrote, “My sister was possessed by the black death, not once but twice.” Check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikTokers slam platform for not “prioritizing” creators due to low pay & disappearing videos – Dexerto
TikTokers slam platform for not “prioritizing” creators due to low pay & disappearing videos TikTok: AngryReactions, CheDurena, Dylan.PagePopular TikTokers AngryReactions, Dylan Page, and more have uploaded videos slamming the app for not “prioritizing” creators due to low pay and disappearing videos. Since it began to grow massively in 2020, TikTok has faced its fair share of issues and backlash from both the government and creators alike. Most recently, the US State of Utah has filed a lawsuit against the company with claims that it’s harming children. Now, some of its top creators are hitting out at the platform with claims that TikTok isn’t “prioritizing” them due to low pay, videos aren’t getting pushed to the FYP, and some apparently are even just disappearing. AngryReactions hits out at videos not being pushed to his followers “TikTok don’t prioritize their creators, bro,” TikTok star AngryReactions said in a clip calling out the platform. “Every other app do except TikTok, and I think that’s the problem.” Oneya ‘AngryReactions’ Johnson went on to share his frustration about the fact he has 28 million followers and still has followers that don’t see his videos. “You know how many people that run up to me in real life and they’re like ‘Bro, I ain’t seen your videos since 2020?’” he added. “What the f*ck are they following me for if they ain’t getting fed my content? “You’re not prioritizing the people who are keeping this app popular, bro.” Che Durena & Dylan Page hit out about low pay and disappearing videos Dylan Page — who’s gained almost 10 million followers thanks to his news videos, also hit out at the platform, saying the Creativity Program isn’t paying him the same as other creators. Set to provide higher pay for videos over one minute long, the TikTok Creativity Program generally pays creators around $1.00 for 1,000 views. Dylan says that he’s only receiving 5 pence, or the USD equivalent of around $1.50 per thousand views total, which is barely more than he was making beforehand. On top of this, Dylan says that videos on his account are randomly disappearing. Unlike ones that get hit with a Community Guidelines Strike where he has an option to appeal the decision, they just disappear without such an option on other users’ devices. Comedian Che Durena, who has amassed almost eight million followers, also spoke up about the situation. “I’m also getting shafted financially by TikTok. I’ve made a total of zero dollars. Because I’m Canadian, I don’t qualify for their Creator Fund because it’s not available in that country, even though I moved to America,” he said. “I have legal documents that makes me eligible to work in this country and they won’t let me change it in my account.” We’ve reached out to TikTok for comment and will update this article accordingly. With the success of TikTok around the globe, a number of creators like Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and Bryce Hall have become stars thanks to their viral videos. They’re desperate for updates on relationships, where their favorite stars are living, and how they’re getting on away from the TikTok videos. Kevin Wong posted a video of Charli and Chase reuniting at LAX. However, it didn’t go down well with some of the pair’s fellow TikTok stars. “You’re taking stalking to a new level. Give them some privacy,” Hype House founder Thomas Petrou said. He also added a simple message, asking Wong to stop as well. TikToker’s sister gets left and right marks tattoed on each hand to tell the difference – Dexerto
TikToker’s sister gets left and right marks tattoed on each hand to tell the difference TikTok: eizamurphy / Pablo García SaldañaA TikToker’s sister has taken matters into her own hands, quite literally, to ensure she never forgets which is left or right. How often have you been giving directions in the car, only to mix up left and right and be taken on an unplanned detour? Fear not: left-right confusion is a fairly common conundrum. In fact, a 2021 study published in the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology determined that more than 14% of people struggle to tell the difference. Eiza Murphy, ‘eizamurphy’ on TikTok, posted a hilarious video that has since caught the internet by storm, one that showed her sister ensuring she would never run into the problem again. In the video, Murphy explained that her sister does not know her ‘left or rights’ and has decided to take matters into her own hands with some unique tattoos. The TikTok showed the final result; a pair of tattoos with an ‘L’ on the left hand and an ‘R’ on the right. Many commenters admitted to struggling with the same confusion, some even stating they had gotten similar tattoos. “My [boyfriend] did this and still doesn’t know them,” one commenter said. While getting some helpful tattoos may be a possible solution to the problem, there are less permanent ways to determine the difference. A common fix for left-right confusion is the old trick of holding up each hand in the shape of an ‘L’ using your thumb and index finger. The side that shows the letter facing the correct way is left. Whether or not Murphy’s sister has solved her own left-right confusion is yet to be determined. Though Murphy is sure to find out next time she is asking for directions. TikTokers slam ‘fatphobic’ filter that’s getting millions of views – Dexerto
TikTokers slam ‘fatphobic’ filter that’s getting millions of views TikTok: euincetjoaaTikTokers are criticizing a new trend taking off on the viral video app, which uses a filter that many users are labeling as ‘fatphobic.’ TikTok is a social media platform that’s home to a slew of popular trends and crazes. From spawning its viral baked feta pasta to creating challenges like the ‘incantation challenge,’ TikTok is the number one place for fads to go viral. However, the app’s latest hot trend is sparking some backlash among viewers for using what many critics are calling a ‘fatphobic’ facial filter. Filters are nothing new on TikTok, and certain ones tend to go viral from time to time. Most recently, a popular ‘planets’ filter took over the platform for the jaw-dropping effect it lends to one’s videos. This newest trend, though, uses a filter that makes a person’s face bigger and exaggerates their features — and many users aren’t happy about it. The fad appears to have been sparked by TikTok by user ‘eunicetjoaa,’ who shared her video using the filter on June 25, 2022. The ‘transformation’ from the filter to her real face went viral, garnering over 30 million views and 2.3 million likes. Click here if TikTok fails to load. Other users soon started making their own ‘transformation’ videos using the filter, which similarly received a lot of attention… but the comments sections on these clips are also packed with criticism against the TikTokers for using the ‘fatphobic’ filter. “Yeah, let’s not do this,” one user wrote. “2.3m likes? Why do we still condone this behavior?” another asked. “Y’all really showing ur true colors,” another remarked. TikToker ‘splotchmaker’ duetted a video with one TikToker who used the filter, katiania.kay, writing: “I know everyone’s making videos about this trend but YIKES to anyone doing this. Fatphobes.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. This is just the latest trend to spark backlash on TikTok, with the platform’s viral ‘spa water’ also coming under scrutiny for “gentrifying agua frescas.”

TikTokers shocked to discover Airbnb comes with peepholes, hidden rooms, and secret tunnels – Dexerto
TikTokers shocked to discover Airbnb comes with peepholes, hidden rooms, and secret tunnels Instagram: tierrasaurusrexTwo women shared to TikTok the “quirks and charm” of their Airbnb, which shockingly came included with peepholes, hidden rooms, and secret tunnels. Airbnb has become one of the world’s most visited travel websites since it first became public in 2007. With the platform’s massive 150+ million user base, it’s not surprising that there have been some negative stories arising throughout the years. TikToker Tierra Burris, who goes by ‘tierrasaurusrex’ on the platform, recently stayed at a “renovated old Portland home” with her friend, Scarlet Wolf. But what the pair discovered was enough to have the girls scrambling for a refund and a quick exit from the house. After having been first given the wrong address, the women were then told they weren’t allowed to access the building from the front door. Entering from the back, they found a hidden key that hadn’t been disclosed to them. “There was a key that she didn’t tell us about hidden outside,” Burris said. “There is this little tiny little hole area down here where there was another key that accessed the door that we were not informed of.” From here, the friends found more secrets within the house that started to leave them feeling uneasy about their stay. Many of the room’s closets included doors and passages inside, leading into darkness that the women insisted they had no intention of exploring. There was even a peephole leading into one of the bedrooms where Burris had initially planned to sleep. The disturbing discoveries resulted in Burris and Wolf contacting Airbnb about the possibility of a refund for their $3,500 stay so that they could find new accommodation. A follow-up TikTok revealed that Airbnb did end up refunding their stay, with the women moving to a location where they felt safer and could sleep in peace. “Just to confirm all of our suspicions, bumped into a local while I was getting some yogurt and he was like ‘yes, there’s a serial killer in the area,” Wolf said, referring to the murder of four women found between February and May of this year. “Your fears are always valid no matter what and even if there was nothing wrong with that house, we just feel so much better being somewhere else,” Wolf continued, encouraging others to trust their gut instincts. “Always listen to your intuition even if it’s not that serious and do what makes you feel good.” For all the latest entertainment news, be sure to check out our page here.

TikToker’s simple McDonald’s hack guarantees more nuggets for a cheaper price – Dexerto
TikToker’s simple McDonald’s hack guarantees more nuggets for a cheaper price UnsplashIn a viral TikTok video, a McDonald’s customer shared a very simple method to get more chicken nuggets for a cheaper price. McDonald’s somehow became a goldmine for TikTok content. Users from all around the world connect with content created in the popular fast food chain, with some sharing their philanthropic acts and others starting drama at the locale. In this particular TikToker’s case, he went viral for sharing a chicken nugget hack guaranteed to save consumers’ money. The video is only 15 seconds long, and is actually quite simple. “Another McDonald’s hack you all need to know about. A large six-nugget happy meal is six pounds. But if you get two chicken nugget happy meals, you get two drinks, two fries, and eight nuggets for cheaper.” That’s literally it — the video ends right there. As for the exact price comparison, from the video it shows £6.09, while the two separate meals cost £5.98, thereby being a tad cheaper while coming with two extra nuggets. At least that all is in the UK, it’s unclear if this approach pans out in other regions. The comment section thanked the user, who helped save multiple consumers some extra money. “Any hacks for my gas and electric?” one viewer commented “And an extra two nuggets.. win-win,” another user pointed out. Some other viewers seemed to have issues with the video, perhaps because of pricing differences in various parts of the world. “Sorry to disappoint you all but a chicken nugget happy meal is $3.49,” a Tiktoker commented.

TikToker’s romantic getaway ends in disaster after date plays Andrew Tate podcast – Dexerto
TikToker’s romantic getaway ends in disaster after date plays Andrew Tate podcast TikTok: nudlemommy / YouTube: CEOCASTOne TikToker’s “romantic weekend getaway” got off on the wrong foot when her date played an episode of Andrew Tate’s podcast during the car ride to their vacay destination. Andrew Tate is a former kickboxer and controversial internet personality who has been stirring up debate online due to his comments regarding women. Recently, Tate has been banned from a number of social media platforms because of his inflammatory views, including TikTok and YouTube. Tate was notably banned from Twitter back in 2017 over comments he’d made regarding the ‘#MeToo’ movement. With the buzz around Tate at an all-time high, many netizens are decrying the former kickboxing champ online — even to the point of lambasting an unfortunate weatherman who had the same name. One woman, though, found herself feeling majorly uncomfortable after suddenly realizing her date was an Andrew Tate fan in a circumstance that she couldn’t exactly avoid. This realization happened after she’d hopped into a car with her date for what she called a “romantic weekend getaway,” when he started playing an episode of Andrew Tate’s podcast. In her recording of the incident, the TikToker asks her date for “this guy’s name,” to which he tells her that Tate is a “self-made millionaire from Romania.” “Pretty much what he talks about is the standard of relationships and how they shouldn’t be, and how men and women should be in relationships, and society as well, too.” “Oh, that’s cool,” the TikToker disheartenedly replies. She went on to include audio from the podcast playing over the car speakers, where Tate asks his co-hosts: “Okay, you’re getting on this plane, and this plane is gonna fly through a hurricane, right? …Do you want a male pilot, or a female pilot?” Click here if TikTok fails to load. Her TikTok has garnered over 4.6 million views since being posted on August 21, with commenters urging the woman to “run, don’t walk, away.” “It’s totally OK to just immediately get out of the car,” one user joked. “As a mom I’m saying CALL YOUR MOM and she will save you!” another advised. “Being alone in a car with a person like that would terrify me,” another added. Luckily, the TikToker provided her worried viewers with an update merely 14 hours later, claiming she was okay and that her date had given her a ride home the day prior. In her follow-up video, she addressed concerns from commenters as to why she would have gone on a weekend trip with someone she “didn’t know.” “I swear I did know him, I just didn’t know the Andrew Tate thing,” she clarified. “It’s the guys you least expect that are into this stuff. So please, ask them before you hop in that car.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. Although Tate has been blacklisted from several social sites, many netizens are campaigning for the mogul to receive a ban from Twitch, where he’s appeared to debate streamers like Hasan and speak with others like Adin Ross, in the past.

Tiktokers regretting the 90s are using Rogaine to regrow their eyebrows – Dexerto
Tiktokers regretting the 90s are using Rogaine to regrow their eyebrows TikTok:mamatherapyTikTokers dealing with the long-lasting effects of the pencil-thin eyebrows of the 90s have been sharing their experiences of using Rogaine to try and bring back their bushy brows. The 90s were a haven of loud, questionable trends. With low-rise jeans, frosted tips, and the notorious pencil brow dominating the beauty space. While unrealistic beauty standards have continued on into today, some have found the choices they made back then are continuing to impact them. In an attempt to replicate the thinnest of eyebrows rocked by celebrities at the time, some turned to ‘over-plucking’ their brows, leaving space on the forehead where the eyebrow hairs refuse to grow back into their full form. TikTokers have recently been revealing attempts at fixing the thin brow issue after a dermatologist posted a video to TikTok titled: ‘My secret eyebrow hack’. The hack was shown to be Rogaine, a popular hair loss treatment most often used by balding men, rubbed into the brows ‘to grow full beautiful eyebrows.’ In a stitched video seen more than 1.7 million times, ‘mamatherapy’ showed herself instantly rushing out to purchase Rogaine in an experiment to see if the hack really would work. Comments were intrigued by the out of the box thinking, with one user stating “this was an option the whole time? Please update because my 90s eyebrows and I need to know.” https://www.tiktok.com/@mamatherapy/video/7093252741899849006 Not all comments recommended the treatment though, with one user stating: “Girl, no – as a pharmacist I would not be putting that on thin skin near my eyes” before explaining in a follow-up. “The skin is very thin and the product itself is an old blood pressure drug, so it could impact eye pressure.” In an update one week later mamatherapy showed no change to her brows, though with an expected treatment time of 4-8 weeks at a minimum, she declared she’d stick at it for 4-6 weeks, keeping us in the loop as she went on.

TikTokers quit TikTok shop over no payment & “low quality” products – Dexerto
TikTokers quit TikTok shop over no payment & “low quality” products Unsplash: Solen FeyissaSome influencers are reporting that they’re leaving TikTok’s UK shopping program ‘TikTok shop,’ claiming they are receiving no or low pay, and that the products being sold are “low quality.” TikTok is one of the biggest social media platforms out there right now, and there are several different ways that creators are able to make money from the platform. For influencers in the UK, one of these methods is the TikTok shop. According to the platform: “TikTok Shop is an innovative new shopping feature which enables merchants, brands and creators to showcase and sell products directly on TikTok through in-feed videos, LIVEs, and product showcase tab.” However, according to the Financial Times, influencers are now speaking out about the program, citing low or no payment, and low-quality products. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load Content creator Dr. Carolina Are, who used TikTok to promote the pole-dancing classes she teaches, and is an academic in the online moderation field, left TikTok shop after reportedly not receiving payment for her content. “I started using TikTok because it helped me grow massively,” she said. “I was curious to see if the Shop platform would be more lucrative for creators showing nudity, so I tried it to see if I could advertise things that were relevant to my viewers.” She described the products she was asked to sell as: “Cheap or low-quality stuff, or things that I would have struggled to sell while not looking like someone who would flog anything.” “I do not think TikTok treats its creators well, particularly those who they see as on the “borderline” of their community guidelines, like me,” she went on to say. “Our views have massively fallen as a result of their TikTok moderation, so we don’t make money from the creator fund.” TikTok tightened up its community guidelines earlier this year, particularly targeting things like dangerous acts and challenges, eating disorders, and hateful ideologies. Many TikTokers use terms like ‘fake body’ as a way of avoiding getting automatically flagged for violating the app’s policy on nudity. A spokesperson for TikTok said: “The TikTok community is redefining shopping culture, and we’ve seen the positive impact on small businesses which have grown revenues, larger brands which have reached new audiences, and individuals who have launched careers. “We are committed to learning, growing and improving as we build commerce solutions that bring value to merchants, creators, and our community across the UK.” There are more videos promoting TikTok shop products being added to the app each day, but it appears as though more creators could be set to leave.

TikTokers rally behind Hobby Lobby customer for reporting rude manager – Dexerto
TikTokers rally behind Hobby Lobby customer for reporting rude manager TikTok: isleof_anathemaA Hobby Lobby customer has revealed she “may have gotten someone fired” after reporting a manager for being rude to a member of their staff. Working as a customer service representative may result in you having to deal with some uncomfortable situations at some point or another. Most commonly, those working in the industry have been known to encounter angry customers, with some studies estimating that 5 to 10 percent of customers are “difficult”. However, being under the watchful eye of a supervisor or manager may also prove a major stressor. Especially when those in charge abuse their power to intimidate and bully their employees. Witnessing a rude manager at Hobby Lobby insult the cashier serving her, one woman took matters into her own hands and filed a report. Going by ‘isleof_anathema’ on TikTok, the woman shared how she had visited Hobby Lobby to buy crafting materials, hoping to make a necklace containing her deceased dog’s hair. When it came for her to be served though, isleof_anathema noticed the cashier “got really quiet.” She said, “I was like ‘Is there a problem with me?’, but a manager had come up.” “She was ringing up my stuff and she thought that she finished so she told me my total and then realized she left something out,” isleof_anathema continued, explaining the cashier was quick to correct her mistake. Nonetheless, the manager came up behind the cashier and said, “Where is your brain?” “Taken aback”, isleof_anathema didn’t hesitate to “hop on Hobby Lobby customer service” and file a complaint. Before long, the manager had been identified and Hobby Lobby informed isleof_anathema that they would be “reaching out to them for a meeting with the district manager.” “Sorry dude but dont talk to your employees that way,” she concluded, with commenters rushing to praise her quick thinking. “As a Hobby Lobby employee, I thank you for this,” one person wrote. Too often us employees are disrespected and I hope that that manager is gone now.” Another said, “What you did was a blessing! I used to work at Hobby Lobby and my manager was the reason I dreaded existence.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikToker’s parents return to a frosty surprise after leaving ice maker on for 4-months – Dexerto
TikToker’s parents return to a frosty surprise after leaving ice maker on for 4-months TikTok: twoticketstosaradiseA TikToker’s parents have returned home after a four-month vacation to a freezer full of ice cubes after a crucial ice maker mistake. Heading off on a four-month vacation requires more than just packing a suitcase. Before locking your doors you’ll usually want to ensure that your electronics are switched off, among other important things. But as one TikToker’s parents learned the hard way, if you’re leaving the fridge on, then it’s best you don’t take out the ice maker container before you leave. TikToker Sara Hayward shared a hilarious clip showing her parents getting a frosty surprise upon opening their fridge door after returning from holiday and it’s already racked up more than 12.8 million views. Hayward shared her parents’ comical experience on her own TikTok account, writing, “My parents got back home from traveling for 4 months and sent me this. Apparently you have to turn off the ice maker and not just take it out of the door!” In the clip, Hayward’s mother sets the scene by saying, “After four months, we thought the ice maker would have stopped but we think it kept going, so let’s see what happens.” Fortunately, Hayward’s parents prepared a large tarp that was placed on the floor as the pair seemed to be well aware of what was about to unfold. After several attempts to open the door, the freezer door finally opens, and ice cubes immediately begin falling onto the floor. As the door begins to open further, Hayward’s mother bursts into uncontrollable laughter after realizing that the freezer is absolutely packed with ice cubes. In the comments section, people were not just stunned by the incredible number of ice cubes falling out of the freezer upon opening but were baffled for a variety of other reasons, too. One user asked, “Doesn’t the ice maker have a sensor to stop it when the receptacle is full?” It seems that is usually the case, but because Hayward’s parents removed the ice container, it just kept going for the four months that they were away. Another user saw the bright side of the situation, writing, “At least you know nothing thawed.” Which is certainly a handy takeaway after returning from a four-month vacation. But arguably the most helpful comment of all was from one user with a fridge that’s seemingly lacking in performance, who shared, “The one Samsung fridge with a working ice maker.” The comment prompted responses from other TikTok users who suggested that they should call the number inside the freezer, and a Samsung representative will fix the issue as long as the fridge is under warranty. As for the icy surprise, Hayward revealed that her parents “learned their lesson” about removing the ice maker container.

TikTokers put spin on viral Butter Board trend with ‘Peanut Butter Boards’ – Dexerto
TikTokers put spin on viral Butter Board trend with ‘Peanut Butter Boards’ TikTok: foodfables / caughtsnackinThe viral Butter Board trend has been sweeping TikTok, but some users are putting a new twist on the recipe with the ‘Peanut Butter Board.’ TikTok is home to a huge number of creators, and many of them love making content about food, whether that’s tutorials for their favorite recipes, or tips and tricks to make cooking easier. One recipe that has been dominating the platform in recent weeks is the ‘Butter Board.’ The recipe was popularized on TikTok by justine_snacks, but she credits the now-viral recipe to Josh McFadden, saying she wants to make it the “the next charcuterie board.” As the name suggests, the dish involved covering a board or dish in a thick layer of softened butter, before adding a selection of different toppings like vegetables, herbs, spices, and more. You then use bread to scoop up the butter to eat it. Now, many users on the app have been switching up the original Butter Board idea, by instead using peanut butter as the base instead of regular butter to make a Peanut Butter Board. The concept is very similar to the original recipe, except for the Peanut Butter Board, people generally are using sweeter ingredients to put on top. People have been topping the layer of peanut butter with anything from nuts and fruit, to chocolate and candy. Although you can use bread to scoop up the peanut butter just like the other recipe, users have been getting creative with other options, including green apple, crackers, banana chips, bagel chips, and more. TikTokers have been garnering thousands and likes of views for their takes on this viral Peanut Butter Board trend, as the original Butter Board trend continues to pop up on For You Pages across the world.

How to make Walmart’s viral V-Day “explosion box” gift Kimberly Nikole has gone viral many times on TikTok for her at-home recipes, gift ideas, and creative crafts for the holidays. Though she has shared quite a few Valentine’s creations, Kimberly wanted her 68.4K followers to get their hands on supplies to make her viral Valentine’s Day explosion box before products sold out. To make the V-Day explosion box, you’ll want to go to Walmart to buy three boxes that can fit inside of each other. Then, cut slits on each corner of every box so that they may lay flat on the table. You’ll then use double-sided tape on the inside of each flap to secure candies, gift cards, money, or anything that may fit. Once all of your goodies are packed inside the three boxes, stack them inside of each other so that the smallest box is the last one to be revealed when the top is pulled off of the biggest box. Viewers of Kimberly’s viral Valentine’s gift idea from Walmart have commented, calling it a “great idea” and “so adorable and creative.” Other viewers thanked Kimberly for sharing, saying they’d definitely be making the V-Day explosion box for their loved ones. TikToker’s No Tear Toilet Paper prank has internet “in tears” over husband’s reaction Unsplash: Colourblind Kevin / TikTok: sheenamelwaniA TikToker relishing in some “childish” entertainment played a hilarious prank on her husband by replacing the toilet paper with its No Tear alternative, leaving the internet “in tears”. Potty humor is often seen as “the lowest form of entertainment”, with children most likely to delight in its crude rejection of cultural taboo. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyed by adults too. Relishing in some “childish” fun, one TikToker decided to prank her husband after discovering No Tear Toilet Paper. Setting him up, Sheena Melwani shared his hilarious reaction online, leaving the internet “in tears” over his “quick-witted” responses. “I’m such a child,” Sheena said, laughing as she demonstrated the toilet paper’s impressive inability to tear. She then switched over the rolls and waited for her husband to fall into the trap. Next, the video switched to his moment of realization, as he called out accusingly to Sheena; “Now I know why you’re hanging out.” Not one to give in easily, she innocently replied, “I’m just doing my makeup.” That is when her husband showed off his comedic prowess, shouting back, “You want to do it on these scrolls of Egypt?” and throwing the roll out of the room. He continued to shout hilarious clap backs at Sheena’s prank, with commenters “dying” of laughter and hailing him as the “funniest person alive”. Some of his best moments included stating “This is how you bandage people whose legs are falling off in war”, and “It’s like using a t-shirt on your anoos” (and nope, that’s not us censoring anything — he said what he said). After throwing out every bathroom item he could find, the TikTok ends with Sheena’s husband threatening, “You’re not going to be happy with the next thing coming out of this room.” Check out the latest entertainment at news on our page here.

Mom accidentally hires stripper for kid’s Barbie-themed birthday party TikTok/joolia_go0lia/FreePikA TikToker is going viral after revealing how her mom somehow made the mistake of hiring a stripper for a Barbie-themed birthday party. The Barbie Movie has become a smash hit with fans, dominating the box office and even causing awkward memories to come rushing back. For TikToker Julia, the movie reminded her of a bizarre incident when her mom somehow ended up hiring a stripper to come to a Barbie birthday party. According to Julia, her mom had got out her big phone book and hired an “entertainer” listed as Barbie without realizing that she had nothing to do with the Mattel line of dolls. Stripper saves Barbie-themed birthday party after being hired by mistake Amazingly, while this situation could have ended badly what with Barbie being a stripper and all, the “entertainer” instead decided to play along. “She did not take off her clothes. I followed her around, thrilled that Barbie came to my birthday party,” Julia explained. “All of the parents there had a real good laugh.” Unfortunately, while the TikToker tried to get her mom to find photos of the wild birthday extravaganza, it turns out that many of Julia’s past pictures were lost in a basement flood. That said, Julia isn’t giving up hope and urged stripper Barbie to reach out if she saw the TikTok to catch up with her. “Know that you made this Barbie-loving girl’s heart so happy that day,” the TikToker said with a smile. While this wild encounter certainly turned some heads, this isn’t the first Barbie story to make waves recently. Last month, a couple of women got into a heated fight in a theater after a mom let her daughter watch YouTube videos throughout The Barbie Movie.

TikToker’s mom has anxiety attack after Walmart employees accuse her of stealing – Dexerto
TikToker’s mom has anxiety attack after Walmart employees accuse her of stealing A TikToker has claimed that four Walmart employees made her mother have an anxiety attack after they were both accused of stealing in a video that’s gone viral on the social platform. With TikTok’s immense popularity around the world with reportedly 1.2 billion monthly active users, it’s no wonder bizarre videos tend to continue to go viral on the platform. It’s no different than a recent video from user @terrionnayancey, whose TikTok went viral as she claimed her mother had an anxiety attack after the two of them were accused of stealing from Walmart. In an April 13 TikTok, user Terrionna Yancey shared a video of two Walmart employees checking receipts and going through every item in their cart as they accused the creator and her mother of stealing from the store. “My mom had an anxiety attack at Walmart because 4 employees grabbed her on the way out and accused her of stealing,” wrote the TikToker. “In a store full of people laughing and recording, thinking she actually stole something. Not even a real apology.” In that two-minute-long video shared, viewers can see a worker carefully checking every item in each bag while another looks over the receipt to make sure the purchases match. TikToker’s megaphone prank ends in disaster after messing with the wrong stranger – Dexerto
TikToker’s megaphone prank ends in disaster after messing with the wrong stranger TikTok/jaykindaffunnyA TikToker prank at a Home Depot turned into a clean-up in aisle 12 after he was absolutely demolished after choosing the wrong victim for his content. TikTok pranks are some of the most successful videos on the platform, frequently getting hundreds of thousands to even millions of views. While messing with strangers can be done in good fun, sometimes things get taken too far. It’s one thing to be sharing a nasty story loud in public to see how people react, but getting physical with complete strangers can have some major consequences. That’s exactly what happened with prankster Jaykindafunny after he used a PVC pipe as a megaphone and prepared to yell his signature catchphrase “Muñañyo” in a man’s ear. (click here if TikTok fails to load) TikToker gets annihilated in prank gone wrong As you can see in the clip, the man Jay planned to prank wasn’t having it. As soon as he felt the pipe on his head, he turned around and tackled the TikToker to the floor and put him in a nasty headlock. “That ain’t no f**king joke!” the man exclaimed while the prankster whimpered. “Don’t f**k with me, bro.” The video has spread like wildfire, amassing over 50 million views in under five days. Users seem to be taking the side of the man too, joking that it was “about time” that the TikToker got what was coming to him. (click here if TikTok fails to load) Amusingly, this isn’t the first time a prank victim has retaliated against Jay. In another video, a large man grabbed the megaphone from him and threatened to “stick it up his a**” if he continued. You’d think that one time would be enough to teach Jay a lesson, but clearly the TikToker is hellbent on continuing his ways, despite being tackled to the ground in a hardware store.

TikTokers make their own food at Waffle House after chef quits – Dexerto
TikTokers make their own food at Waffle House after chef quits Unsplash.com: Simon Daoudi / TikTok: therealgobigmcA TikToker is going viral for taking matters into her own hands after employees at their local Waffle House quit in the middle of their shift. Ah, Waffle House; A Southern restaurant chain hailed for its all-day breakfasts and staying open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, rain or shine. Waffle House isn’t necessarily known for its customer service, though. Instead, it’s one of the best places to go after a night out partying — you can always count on this particular chain to be open if you need a hangover cure. Any time of day or night, Waffle House is there… but for one location, this didn’t exactly hold true. TikToker ‘Ashley Tha MC’ chronicled her late-night visit to a Waffle House location, where things didn’t exactly go to plan. She claimed that the chef on duty had actually quit and “refused to make our food.” Her TikTok recording the outing showed the chef standing outside before she moved into the building. “But s**t, the show had to go on, so we made our own,” Ashley said, showing her crew making themselves busy in the kitchen preparing their own meals. “We made all that good food, got back to the hotel, ate everything,” she continued. “The next day my stomach was tore up! Bye.” Luckily, Ashley claimed that she didn’t have to pay for making her own meal — instead, she said it was “on the house.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. The hilarious video has garnered over 116,000 views at the time of writing, with oodles of commenters recounting their own humorous experiences at Waffle Houses. “I can’t count how many times me, as a server, had to make my customers’ food,” one user wrote. “Cooking your own food at Waffle House is part of the experience!” another joked. “The fact that happens more than y’all think,” another commenter admitted. Sometimes, you’ve just gotta roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done… but at least the kerfuffle made for a good story.

TikToker’s makeup mirror sets couch on fire in viral video – Dexerto
TikToker’s makeup mirror sets couch on fire in viral video TikTok: LydiaCookeA TikToker has gone viral after uploading a video where she placed her makeup mirror reflecting the sun in a way that was about to start a house fire. Remember in science class when your teacher explained how you could use a magnifying glass to control where the sun’s rays are focused? If so, you’ll know that doing so will focus the heat from the sun enough that when the item at the end of it is flammable, it could potentially catch on fire. TikToker LydiaCooke was reminded of this the hard way and quickly went viral after uploading a video of the results. TikToker LydiaCooke shows her couch burning in viral video On November 1, Lydia uploaded a video showing the sunbeam on her sofa, causing it to smoke. Text overlay on the video read: “I was today years old when I learned how house fires can start.” The video quickly went viral, gaining over 16 million views within two days after uploading. After the video blew up, Lydia revealed that the magnified half of her makeup mirror was the cause of the reflection, and noticed it while she was doing her makeup without the mirror. “I’m very lucky to have been home when it happened and I will be learning from my mistakes,” she said. Throughout both videos, viewers flooded the comments with their thoughts on the situation. “I’m a waitress and an empty water glass on a table shattered because of how the sun was hitting it once,” one viewer replied. Another said: “That’s my biggest fear, every time I go out for a longer time I remove all shiny things from my windows.” “A friend’s house caught fire from a drinking glass left out on the porch reflected onto a garbage bag and it ignited!” a third user commented.

TikTokers leave Not a Content House after accusing management of misconduct: A timeline – Dexerto
TikTokers leave Not a Content House after accusing management of misconduct: A timeline YouTube: Not a Content HouseIn a period of just a few days, several members have left TikTok collective Not a Content House, citing misconduct from management. This has prompted former members as well as other TikTokers like Thomas Petrou to speak out on their experience with NACH, along with Clubhouse — houses that are linked. While the Not a Content House was only launched in August of 2020, it didn’t take long before members started to leave the collective, with the lineup undergoing a big change after its merge with the now-disbanded Top Talent House. Now, following Cynthia Parker’s decision to leave the house, others have followed her, and with their departure have emerged several allegations of misconduct directed at management, coming not only from former members, but other TikTok stars who claim they have been embroiled with the drama behind the scenes. Here’s everything that’s happened so far. January 11 – Lauren Kettering and Madi Monroe leave NACH Following Katie Pego’s departure from the group a few months prior in November, stars Lauren Kettering and Madi Monroe were also rumored to have left after the Not A Content House account unfollowed them on Instagram. Lauren explained she was “just gonna do my own thing right now, and working on a lot more projects,” but Madi revealed that she was leaving because of issues with management, saying, “no hard feelings, I left ‘cause management was weird. Lol still best friends with all the girls.” February 8 – Cynthia Parker, Sabrina Quesada, and DevsVlogs leave NACH Just under a month after Lauren and Madi left, fans noticed that Cynthia had also likely done the same, after she and the Not A Content Instagram account unfollowed each other. When fans asked fellow member Devyn Winkler a.k.a DevsVlogs what happened with Cynthia, she simply said that it “wasn’t the girls, it was management.” Cynthia herself said she wasn’t kicked out, and that she “just decided to put myself and my mental health first,” adding that she’s “onto bigger and better projects.” Read More: How does Logan Paul make money? – After Sabrina was also unfollowed, she clarified that, “none of us were kicked out, we all chose to leave.” Devyn was also unfollowed by the house Instagram account, putting her in a similar position to the previous members. February 9 – Cooper Noriega calls out NACH management In a now-deleted post, TikTok star Cooper Noriega shared his thoughts on the Not A Content House management. “Not a Content House managers/management is literally sh*t. Most manipulative people and weirdly sexual to the girls.” View this post on Instagram February 9 – Rachel Brockman responds TikTok star Rachel Brockman left the Top Talent House in October of 2020 after she accused 21-year-old manager Nour Khodr of inappropriate behavior and exploiting minors. These claims were countered by other members of the Top Talent House, who explained, “Rachel said that she did not want to go home and that she actually wanted to be emancipated.” They also said that they felt “super safe and happy” living there. The allegations led to Top Talent House being merged with Not a Content House. In response to Cooper Noriega’s comments about NACH management, Rachel replied “YUP.” When member Anna Schumate commented, “she wasn’t in NACH,” Rachel wrote, “bye — you know your manager’s a weirdo.” This led to several people involved in the incident clarifying which managers they were specifically talking about. Cooper said, “yeah, ain’t talking about Nour, talking about Clubhouse managers a.k.a. Chase and Amir. If I spoke out Amir (not Nour) would have kicked out Sab…” View this post on Instagram Not a Content House and Clubhouse BH are linked, but how exactly they overlap in terms of management is unclear. Many influencers speaking out on the situation have not disclosed names, but the two situations certainly seem to be related. Eva Cudmore clarified that the girls each have their own individual manager, but they are all managed by the same house manager. On Rachel, Sabrina also said, “she literally doesn’t even know the half of it, she was never in NACH. Nour treated us very well and has a good heart. He was in no way involved in our mental health deteriorating while we were there.” February 10 – Former NACH members release explanation video Four girls who had left the house released a YouTube video on the official NACH YouTube channel in which they explained their reasons for leaving. Cynthia claimed she didn’t get to see her family for birthdays and holidays because she was told “it’s not the best idea for you to leave.” She also explained she got called “bipolar and mentally underdeveloped” by her manager. Sabrina claims she was also told to be “extra nice to this male producer and wanted to work with and persuade him to work with him.” https://youtu.be/2jRatZJ_t84 The girls explained that they were “forced” to do ‘house deliverables’ — promotional activities that the individual creators don’t get paid for, and instead go straight to the house for things like rent. They say that, “if we didn’t do these house deliverables, our phones would be blown up, we would get things taken away, we would get threats, we’d get threatened to be kicked out.” They also clarified that it was two managers in particular that were the problem. “The entire company has been very good, and it was two people who did all this to us, who had a lot of power over us.” February 10 — Thomas Petrou and Alex Warren speak out about Clubhouse The Hype House’s Thomas Petrou also had something to say about the management behind the scenes of the Clubhouse. “That house has been run by criminals the whole time. They actively tried to ruin my life for 6 months from people hacking my accounts, lawsuits, and plenty of physical threats because I refused to work with them from the start.” He also expressed relief that so many creators were leaving the house, writing, “I’m glad all those kids got out of that terrible situation.” TikTok star Alex Warren defended Thomas against those claiming he should have spoken out about this issue sooner. “For anyone saying ‘why didn’t they speak out earlier,’ etc. These dudes are backed by MILLIONS of dollars, threatening lawsuits and physical action,” he said. Alex continued by explaining that he, “watched Thomas drain hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to fight these guys legally for stuff he didn’t even do when trying to talk about this sh*t. He wasn’t even involved with them business-wise so I don’t even wanna think about how bad these girls had it. I’m glad to see something is actually happening.” February 11 — NACH deletes all content from TikTok All content has been removed from the Not A Content House TikTok page, and they have unfollowed all accounts. The same goes for the Instagram page, apart from an IGTV video featuring the same content as their Youtube video explanation. February 13 — NACH rebrands to Just a House A couple of days after the drama was at its peak, four members of Not a Content house uploaded a YouTube video to the NACH YouTube channel, now named ‘Just a House.’ The girls told viewers that, “we’re all staying together, we’re like family.” Devyn reiterated that, “there’s nothing wrong with the whole company, it’s a ginormous company, it was just the people that were managing the content houses.” The influencers reveal that the two people they had issues with, who they name as Amir and Chase, “don’t work for [them] anymore.” https://youtu.be/YUg8CHz7JQQ It’s clear that the former members of NACH are ready to move on to better things, though with the Clubhouse still active, there may well be more impact on the TikTok community to come as more information emerges.

Honestly, it wasn’t easy being young like we were 15 and 16. Lexi went on to say that the relationship no longer made them both happy. “We both had so much fun doing it, but I think as years went on it just became a little too complicated…I think what was hard is we want to make you guys happy as well as make ourselves happy. “Ultimately we just didn’t do both and I think what’s most important was focusing on ourselves for now.” Lexi and Ben finished by saying that they’re not parting ways forever and that they both felt it was just the wrong time to be together.

TikTokers go viral spotting ‘ghosts’ with AI manga filter – Dexerto
TikTokers go viral spotting ‘ghosts’ with AI manga filter TikTok: fesch6TikTok users are going viral with their videos in which they use the popular AI manga filter to try and spot ‘ghosts’ in their environments. Short-form video platform TikTok has had a number of different filters go viral in the past, and throughout December, one of the most popular has been the insanely popular AI manga filter. This filter turns anyone who uses it into an anime-style figure, and thousands have been experimenting with different positions to try and get the character to have different features, with varying results. Now, people are using the effect to try and spot ‘ghosts’ in the environment they’re in. With the filter applied, users will point their phone at an empty room, or one that is at least free of people, and they wait for the results to be generated. While oftentimes it won’t pick up any faces, other times it will generate a manga character, implying that it has detected a face in an image that supposedly doesn’t have any faces in it. Even if the user doesn’t really believe in ghosts, many have reported being freaked out by the effect, and have advised others against playing with this filter in the middle of the night. People have been racking up hundreds and thousands of likes and views by showing the results of the filter on the app, experimenting with different rooms in their house, as well as places they’re visiting. This filter just picks up on anything that could possibly resemble a person, even if that is furniture or other objects rather than a person. Regardless, people are having fun spooking themselves and their viewers out by trying to find ‘ghosts’ in the most unlikely places. This filter is continuing to go viral across TikTok, and it looks like many more videos using it are set to be posted in the coming weeks.

TikToker’s genius “life hack” ensures no Heinz ketchup goes to waste – Dexerto
TikToker’s genius “life hack” ensures no Heinz ketchup goes to waste TikTok: caseyriegerA TikToker has shared a new “life hack” that will ensure none of your favorite sauces ever go to waste. Have you ever gone to add some sauce to your meal only to find someone has put a near-empty bottle back in the fridge or cupboard? Banging the bottle in an attempt to get those last bits out can be a frustrating process, but fear not — one TikToker has solved the problem. Casey Rieger posted a video sharing a “life hack” she discovered on TikTok, using Heinz ketchup to demonstrate. “If you want to get the whole bottle—” Rieger said, stepping back from the camera before swinging the bottle in a wide circular motion. When she finished, all the ketchup had been pushed to the bottle’s opening due to the centripetal force. Evidently impressed, Rieger called the life hack “genius” and said, “How cool is that?” However, some viewers were concerned about the reliability of the ketchup’s lid; “I’ll come back and let you know how much ketchup ended up on my walls because the lid failed.” One viewer had a solution, offering a “tip” by suggesting anyone trying the hack should “grab the neck of the bottle and put a finger on the lid.” Others realized the hack could be used for multiple things including sauce jars, shampoo, and conditioner. “Now I’m gonna do this with my shampoo and conditioner,” one person wrote. “Thank you.” Check out all the latest entertainment stories on our page here.

TikToker’s dog goes viral after getting too invested in cat from Stray game – Dexerto
TikToker’s dog goes viral after getting too invested in cat from Stray game TikTok, jenntennn / BlueTwelve StudioA dog has gone viral on TikTok for its hilarious reaction to a clip from Stray, a game all about cats. Stray is a game where the player takes control of a stray cat – you guessed it. Developed by BlueTwelve Studio and released in July 2022, Stray captured the imagination of thousands of people and has a flawless 10/10 rating on Steam. While many people around the world enjoyed the playthrough, one furry customer got a little too invested in a viral video. Dog goes viral on TikTok watching Stray game The clip was uploaded by TikTok user jenntenn on August 4, racking up over 800,000 likes and 4.2 million hits. The short video is far and away the best performing on their account, with the second highest coming as a spinoff to the one below, posted days later. “I think she’s fully invested now,” Jenn posted, showing her pooch on the sofa watching Stray. It didn’t take its eyes off the cat character for a second and as it moved around the screen, it eventually falls down a steep drop. Instantly, Jenn’s dog leaps from the sofa in an effort to catch or save the cat. Their intentions divided users in the comments as well. One said: “She tried to save it,” while another posted: “For the rest of her life she’s gonna regret not being fast enough to save that cat.” What happens to Stray in fall scene? We will never know what the dog was thinking in this viral clip, but we do know what happened to the feline after the TikTok ended. It didn’t die if that’s what you had assumed. The cat – based on a real one called Murtaugh but known as Stray in the video game – lands in a trash-filled pipeline. TikToker’s gender reveal party ends in disaster as house catches on fire – Dexerto
TikToker’s gender reveal party ends in disaster as house catches on fire TikTok/jennialarcon_A gender reveal party is going viral on TikTok for all the wrong reasons after a pyrotechnic device malfunctioned resulting in a house nearly burning down. You’d think that with all the wildfires caused by gender reveal parties, soon-to-be-parents would take it easy with the pyrotechnics. Alas, a TikToker and her husband had to learn the hard way. In a viral clip spreading on the platform, Brazilian couple Jenni Alarcon and Lucas Motta were celebrating the gender reveal of their upcoming twins with a big firework spectacle in their backyard. As the two stood in front of giant letters that spelled out ‘babies,’ a machine went off, erupting in a cloud of pink smoke. The celebration was short-lived, however. Gender reveal goes viral on TikTok after explosion goes wrong In a split second, the happy occasion turned south as parts of the backyard were set ablaze, with the fire spreading toward the house. The ‘S’ at the end of babies was set alight and you can hear the guests in attendance panic as the video abruptly ends. (click here if TikTok fails to load) Luckily, they were able to take care of the situation, with Alarcon explaining that no one was harmed despite the ‘scary’ fire catching everyone by surprise. Since being posted, the video has gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 4.4 million views in just four days. Hopefully, this incident can serve as a warning for those wanting to go all-in on their gender reveal parties and not risk having things they love go up in a cloud of pink smoke.

TikToker’s disastrous wedding invite goes viral for redirecting guests to mature website – Dexerto
TikToker’s disastrous wedding invite goes viral for redirecting guests to mature website TIKTOK: squidward.tentaclesA bride-to-be went viral on TikTok after revealing that her wedding invitations had accidentally directed guests to an adult website. In a hilarious video that’s garnered over 195,000 views, TikTok user ‘squidward.tentacles’ detailed how she accidentally directed guests of her upcoming wedding to a well-known adult site, rather than her official wedding website. “I got my wedding invitations in the mail today – super exciting,” she began. “Except I made a very large mistake that I’m gonna share with you guys so other brides don’t make the same mistake, because I’m sure it’s super common.” “I forgot I put this fun website as a placeholder,” she added, as she showed her gold-trimmed RSVP card and zoomed in on the web address where her wedding information should have been printed. The RSVP card read: “For more wedding details, please visit our website [adult site URL].” The bride-to-be also forgot to update the information about the lodging accommodations she’d arranged for out-of-town guests for her big day. “I forgot I put the Super 8 Motel as a placeholder, as well, until we figured out which hotels we were gonna block off,” she admitted. “If you’re our guest, I promise I didn’t block rooms off at the Super 8 Motel. And if you’re my mom, I’m sorry. I will fix it.” She continued: “I think it’s funny, personally. But I don’t think anyone else is gonna think it’s funny, especially my family and Nate’s family and literally anyone else, so, I’m sorry, mom. I will fix it.” TikTok react to bride’s disastrous wedding invites Many users found the slip-up hilarious, while others pointed out the errors on the invites. “Something tells me this isn’t as common as you made it seem [laughing crying emoji] funny tho,” one person commented. “I think this is hilarious! I checked my invites 1000 times before I finalized because I did the same thing!” another person admitted. “Girly consider it a blessing! There are hella words spelled wrong,” someone else wrote. Others suggested that the soon-to-be bride proofreads her invites before ordering and sending them out. “A room BLOCK has been RESERVED… Yes, please have someone else write & proofread before ordering,” one person suggested. “Aren’t wedding invataions kinda expensive to not bother proofreading before ordering and mailing out?” another person added. The TikToker gave an update in the comments: “It’s just sample (I just wanted to feel the paper)! Don’t worry! I’m still dumb though and will get people to proofread the real thing.” While her big day will most likely turn out fine, check out this wedding that ended in a disaster, after a ‘Karen’ used a loud lawnmower to ruin the ceremony.

TikToker’s dad sparks debate after sleeping on airplane floor during 15-hour flight – Dexerto
TikToker’s dad sparks debate after sleeping on airplane floor during 15-hour flight TikTok: ynataliebrightA TikToker’s dad sparked a debate online for sleeping on the airplane floor during his 15-hour flight. When it’s time to sleep, it’s time to sleep. So, when one man saw an opportunity to rest during his 15-hour flight, he took it. In fact, his sleeping space was so ingenious that the man’s daughter, Natalie Bright, shared a video of it to her TikTok. Viewers have since sparked a debate on whether or not they’d use the same spot to sleep or not. Dad makes “more room” for others by sleeping on airplane floor Natalie Bright thought her dad sleeping on the airplane floor was genius, captioning her TikTok video, “More room for everybody.” The video kicks off in the airport itself where Bright’s dad can be seen reading on his iPhone peacefully with his feet up, almost preparing for what was to come. Then, while on the airplane, Bright’s dad decided he must lie on his back during his 15-hour flight. So, he made room for himself in between the seats on the airplane floor and laid down for part of the flight’s duration. Enjoying himself, Bright’s dad could be seen with headphones in and his hands behind his head for a makeshift pillow. Viewers of the TikTok were quick to share their opinions, with some for and others against. Those who thought it was a genius idea said, “He’s so unhinged and I love it.” As well as, “This may be the best travel tip I have ever seen! And travel is my business!” While others mentioned how unsanitary sleeping on the floor was, saying, “Girl, tell him to get up, it’s just as bad as hospital floors.” And, “But please don’t be barefoot on the flight.” Some viewers also thanked Bright for sharing her video because now they know that they are able to sleep on the floor of a plane during a long flight. Though Bright didn’t make it clear if her dad was asked to move or not, he surely made himself comfortable and was unapologetic for coming up with such a “classic” idea.

TikTokers convinced they’re being pranked as food ‘hack’ everyone knows goes viral – Dexerto
TikTokers convinced they’re being pranked as food ‘hack’ everyone knows goes viral TikTokTikTokers are convinced they’re being ‘pranked’ by a food ‘hack’ that Americans have seemingly only just picked up on, despite the rest of the world using it for the longest time. At this point, TikTok covers every single niche and interest that the internet has. Never mind how strange it might be, you’ll probably find making videos about it on there. Naturally, food and cooking is one of the most popular genres on TikTok, with users eager for viral recipes, interesting hacks on making healthier food more quickly, as well as being wowed by some of the most exquisite bits of food out there. However, there are a couple of food ‘hacks’ doing the rounds at the minute where users are convinced they’re being pranked, given how Americans appear to have only just discovered putting butter on sandwiches. TikTok baffled by food ‘hack’ that everyone knows about That’s right, things started back in early August when TikToker Amanda Rollins (americanfille) noted that she – an American living in France – was making sandwiches for her and her partner using just butter, ham, and cheese. It quickly spiraled into a number of stitches, with purewow copying the ‘hack’ and racking up over 1.1 million views as a result. That has also led to a number of baffled stitches where users from other parts of the world watch on in disbelief as Americans have discovered butter works well on their food. “The USA is another world, I STG (swear to god),” commented one baffled viewer. “WHAT IS GOING ON, IS THIS A PRANK?” another added. “I am completely confused… why have Americans only just discovered THE MAIN USE OF BUTTER,” said another. Naturally, some Americans stepped in to defend themselves, but others were still dismayed at it being labeled a “food hack”. “America be broken on so many levels this is the kettle thing all over again,” added another user, referencing back to another viral trend where Americans made English tea in microwaves.

TikTokers convinced viral Roman Empire trend started on Suits – Dexerto
TikTokers convinced viral Roman Empire trend started on Suits TikTok/Unsplash: Ilona FreyA TikToker has gone viral after finding a reference to the Roman Empire in a 10-year-old episode of Suits, and people are convinced that is where it all started. If you’ve been anywhere on the internet in the past few days, you’ve very likely come across the Roman Empire trend. If you haven’t, well, it typically involves women asking their male partners just how much and often they think about the Roman Empire. Some of them answer that they don’t think about it all that much, but the videos that have gotten the most traction are those that involve answers where someone thinks about it often and what their place would be in it all. Women have been left pretty baffled by it all as they try and get an insight into male minds. However, there is somewhat of a new spin going viral at the minute, as some TikTokers have traced it back to an episode of Suits from 2012. TikTokers believe Suits started Roman Empire trend That’s right, as people have been digging into things and trying to figure out how the trend got its start, some have pointed to Suits as a possible reason. TikToker debodell uploaded a video on September 17, noting that in episode one of season two, Mike and Rachel – played by Meghan Markle – have a conversation about it. “Audiobook. Fall of the Roman Empire,” Mike answers, as a joke, when asked what he’s listening to. “The Roman Empire thing goes deeper than we thought,” … said on her clip, prompting plenty of responses following suit. “I immediately thought of this scene when I saw the Roman Empire thing,” said one. “LMAO they mentioned it in season 7 too, I was dying last night,” added another. “Richard Gilmore mentions it in the beginning of season 5 too,” another pointed out. Naturally, some viewers don’t agree and have questioned if others hit the history books while in school. “Do Americans not care about the world’s history at all? Just their own?” asked one. Suits has become immensely popular once again now that it’s on Netflix, so it makes sense that people are linking the two – given their popularity intertwining at the same time. The trend got its start after author Sam Slupski highlighted seeing it and asking their husband about it. Unlike the Roman Empire, the trend hasn’t died off just yet.

TikTokers come under fire for viral “begging” trend – Dexerto
TikTokers come under fire for viral “begging” trend TikTok: @noahglenncarter, @zachaburnsContent creators who make viral “begging” for money TikToks are under scrutiny for using the trend for their personal gain. Recently a trend on TikTok exploded where content creators ask their viewers for money for a variety of needs like cars or debt, or because of occasions like their birthdays. A recent example of this is a video by Zach Burns with the caption: “My birthday in a week if 5000 people donate $1 I can get a car so I can drive to school and work.” Creators engaging in the trend are being criticized for essentially “begging” on the platform, with many users pointing out that it is impossible to tell what that money then gets spent on. TikTok news channel NoahGlennCarter made a video breaking down the situation. “Many people have gotten tired of this trend saying that most people asking for money are probably spending it on just whatever they want and not what they say they are going to spend it on,” said NoahGlennCarter. “Begging” TikTokers face backlash Several content creators have also made an ironic version of this trending template, asking viewers for things like “$8 for Crab Rangoons”. Or simply made response videos like NoahGlennCarter criticizing the practice. The comment section of Noah’s video is also flooded with many users showing their disapproval of the situation. “Most of the people begging are richer than me and my parents”, wrote one user. Before another replied in agreement saying: “I don’t know why they’re complaining they literally have it all.” “They be acting like this, but make fun of people on the streets doing the same,” another said. “These people infuriate me, thank you for shining light on this,” commented another. But there are some people defending the actions of people asking for money, mainly arguing that it is harmless at the end of the day. “It’s just a dollar,” stated one person, garnering some ‘likes’, suggesting that there are others who agree.

TikTokers claim to earn $10,000 monthly by creating viral pages with AI – Dexerto
TikTokers claim to earn $10,000 monthly by creating viral pages with AI Firefly/TikTokNow a social media guru, Musa Mustafa is a former editor for content creator Sneako who claims he can teach people how to make thousands using AI for TikTok creations. Anyone with a TikTok account has come across what seems to be low-effort or AI-generated content. Whether it is podcasts with Subway Surfers or GTA gameplay running underneath, or an AI voice reading a Reddit post over Minecraft Parkour, the phenomenon has taken over many users’ “For You” pages. Musa Mustafa, who used to edit videos for Sneako, is one of the kings of this kind of content and was the subject of a 404 Media investigation. In the report, Mustafa’s method for putting out easy content, and how he uses AI to streamline that process, is laid out in full. TikToker promises easy money with AI and stolen content Mustafa uses a method that he claims makes him upwards of $10,000 a month. It involves creating multiple “Facelss reels,” which is when a video doesn’t require a creator to appear on camera. In other words, the creator uses AI to generate TikToks on mass. Mustafa also makes a generous sum from teaching other aspiring creators to use these methods by getting them to join his Discord for a fee. According to the report, Mustafa has a Google Drive link in the paid part of his Discord that directs subscribers to a list of AI tools and dozens of tutorial videos about how to hop on trends and use the tools. Not all of these tools are free, however, as some of the best tools that generate full videos based on just a few sentences in an AI prompt can cost up to $19 a month. Those who use the programs and follow Mustafa’s advice make money through the Creativity Program Beta from TikTok. According to the report, many of those who pay to be in the Discord post about how their low-effort content isn’t blowing up and they aren’t making the money promised to them by the social media guru. Mustafa, on the other hand, posts testimonials from his followers in the form of their TikTok Creativity Program Beta dashboards almost daily that showcase them earning thousands, according to the report.

TikToker’s claw hair clip gets lodged into her head after crash – Dexerto
TikToker’s claw hair clip gets lodged into her head after crash paisley.rileyyy / TikTokOne TikToker has gone viral after sharing the devastating repercussions of wearing a claw hair clip during a crash, describing how, rather than breaking, the hair clip instead lodged itself into her head upon impact. With just under 2 million likes at the time of writing, one TikToker, otherwise known as @paisley.rileyyy has taken to the social media platform to share the dangers of wearing a hair clip while driving in open vehicles after suffering painful injuries when the clip failed to break and lodged itself into her head. Such a story also came with her making sure to warn viewers that “it could be very dangerous to have a hair clip or claw clip in the back of their hair” when driving. However, many viewers praised her luck after only requiring staples from the seemingly unbreakable hair clip. Thankfully, shortly after the crash, Paisley made light of the situation, sharing a storytime of the event and laughing about how the hospital that treated her “casually handed (the clip) back to” her after taking it out and fixing the wound. Following the warning, storytime, and video showing the clip with what can only be assumed as blood on it, many took to the comments to joke about how their hair clips usually “break when I just look at it” while others were wondering “where she brought this indestructible clip.” Others joined her in her warning, with one Paramedic highlighting that this is not an uncommon situation and that many should be careful about what they place near them in their car and in their hair when driving. Thankfully, despite the rather gruesome footage, Paisley is recovering well and only needed a few staples, making it clear she was lucky. However, this has initiated many removing their claw clips while in the car to ensure this doesn’t happen to them.

TikTokers celebrate being the family disappointment in new dance trend – Dexerto
TikTokers celebrate being the family disappointment in new dance trend TikTok: abibabexBeing the family disappointment is a full-time job, but someone’s got to do it. It seems like a lot of TikTokers are embracing this role and the fact they grew up differently to how their parents expected in a new, Italian-inspired dance challenge. The latest viral meme on TikTok, which is known as the #BongoChaChaCha challenge is one of the most popular meme formats on the app at the moment. With the #bongochachacha tag having 141.8 million views, it is clear that a lot of TikTokers can relate to the feeling of turning out a little bit different than their parents probably expected. What is the #BongoChaChaCha challenge? The basic premise of the challenge goes as follows. The TikToker pretends to be their parents around the time they were born, where they talk about the high expectations they had for their child. Then, the TikToker shows themselves in present day form dancing along to ‘Bongo Cha Cha Cha’, usually with text on the screen showing how they completely missed these goals. The humor might be dark and a little bit sad, but its definitely relatable to a lot of millennials and Get Zs out there. One TikTok user, who goes by the handle of ‘ellajasmyne’, imagines her parents envisioning her as a Christian or a doctor, before revealing herself to be “a lesbian with ADHD.” Meanwhile, user ‘camerontron’, who is popular among TikTokers in the UK, jokes about how his parents probably expected him to “start his own business and be successful” instead of his current occupation – “barking daily for people on TikTok.” https://www.tiktok.com/@camertronn/video/6944400906871999749 Where did the trend originally come from? For MCU fans, the Italian cha-cha which acts as the soundtrack to this challenge might be familiar. While the song (unsurprisingly titled ‘Bongo Cha Cha Cha’) was originally released in 1980, it has surged in popularity over the last couple of years after featuring in the 2019 movie Spiderman: Far From Home. The sound was originally made by a user named Andie in order to show her ‘I survived NYC’ outfit inspired by a scene from the first MCU Spiderman film, Spiderman: Homecoming (2017). Read More: How to get a Pro Account on TikTok – However, as always, TikTokers have taken this sound and ascribed a whole new meaning to it, transforming it to a huge viral trend. The sound has now been used in over 54k videos, most of them being users’ own contribution to the #BongoChaChaCha challenge.

TikTokers claim they were denied entry to club because of their size – Dexerto
TikTokers claim they were denied entry to club because of their size TIKTOK: ellahalikasTwo TikTokers and plus-size models claimed they were denied entry to a Los Angeles club because of their size. Ella Halikas and Alexa Jay went viral on TikTok after sharing their experience, saying they were discriminated against by The Highlight Room in Hollywood. In a video with over 1.4 million views, Alexa explained that she’d been invited to the club for her friend’s birthday, and was waiting in line with about 15 other guests when she ran into Ella. “The promoter starts letting in the whole group of girls, and right when it gets to me, the bouncer puts the rope in front, looks me up and down, and says, ‘Yeah, not tonight,’” she recalled. Alexa pointed out that she was a part of the group that he was letting in, but he allegedly looked her up and down a second time and repeated, “Yeah, not tonight.” “At that point, it was extremely apparent what was going on and that I was being discriminated against because of the size of my body,” she said. Ella tried approaching the bouncer as well, switching places with Alexa at the front of the line, but they were again denied entry. The TikToker claimed the bouncer looked her up and down before repeating the same phrase, “not tonight,” that he’d used previously. The models also claimed that another staff member saw the interaction, but refused to intervene on their behalf. “A security guard was there and did not help,” Ella said. “He was like ‘Oh, that’s not really my thing.’” “It was so dehumanizing,” Alexa added. “It was like we were being looked through. If you experienced any type of discrimination like this, you know exactly how horrible and disgusting it feels, and we are no longer letting this fly.” A spokesperson for Tao Group Hospitality told NBC News that the company is “aware of Ella and Alexa’s experience and are actively engaged with them to discuss the incident further.” “We are always appreciative of feedback on our operations and continue to work on how to improve our guest experience,” the statement read. “Our company does not tolerate discrimination of any kind.”

TikTokers can finally get donations directly from fans, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
TikTokers can finally get donations directly from fans, but there’s a catch Unsplash/TikTokTikTok is giving its creators even more ways to earn money from their videos as fans can now tip their favorite profiles directly. However, the option isn’t available to all. As TikTok has cemented itself as one of the top social media platforms around, more and more creators have been using the video-sharing app to make some cash. The biggest creators like Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and Bella Poarch, have used the app as a launchpad for mainstream opportunities – signing deals for TV shows, podcasts, beauty products, and beyond – as well as having access to the TikTok Creator Fund. Other TikTokers have been able to use the ‘gifts’ function where, like Twitch bits, users purchase gifts from TikTok and then them send to a user. Though, the platform took a cut of that cash. However, they are now testing direct donations. How to get Tips on TikTok The addition of the ‘tips’ feature was first highlighted by TikToker Jera Bean on October 28 after she noted that the new option had appeared for her alongside other profile settings. Though, there is a slight catch to activating it. Tips aren’t available to every creator, as of writing. You have to have, and maintain, 100,000 followers as well as meet an age requirement to join the current test. If you meet that criteria, you then have to apply and have TikTok sign off on you having tips enabled. According to the application page, Tips will go directly to the creator and TikTok won’t take a cut, whereas they did with Gifts. Though, that could always change in the future. If you are accepted into the Tips program, your profile will be given a shiny new ‘Tips’ badge, just like the one that appears if you are able to receive ‘Gifts’ from others. As Jera shows, donations start at a minimum of $1 but there doesn’t appear to be a maximum amount. If you get a tip, you’ll also get details on who has sent it, provided they don’t take up the option to send it anonymously. With the feature only in a testing phase currently, it could be a while before it’s rolled out for more creators, so we’ll just have to wait and see how it evolves.

Carlos Mena and Alex Guzman are normally hailed as best friends, both being top-tier influencers with millions of followers on multiple social media platforms. You want some shit?” Mena answered before ending the live video feed. For now, all fans can do is watch and wait for further information to be revealed as Mena so mysteriously tweeted.

TikTokers called out for bizarre fan-made Jeffrey Dahmer edits from Netflix series – Dexerto
TikTokers called out for bizarre fan-made Jeffrey Dahmer edits from Netflix series NetflixNetflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has prompted a divisive response from TikTok users, as users are being criticised for romanticizing Evan Peter’s portrayal of the serial killer. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story was released on Netflix on September 21, reuniting American Horror Story collaborators Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters. The limited series depicts the behavior and murders of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, until his eventual incarceration. The show has already received a mixed response critically due to its bleak content, but now, TikTok users are recontextualizing scenes from the show for viral videos. As a result, TikToker’s are engaging in a debate about whether it is appropriate to make content out of Dahmer’s crimes. Netflix’s Jeffrey Dahmer show causes debate among TikTokers Viewers of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story are sympathising with Dahmer’s actions, as Twitter user @liliandaisies has called out several TikTok accounts for their perspective of the serial killer. “Hundreds of people are saying that they feel sorry for Jeffrey Dahmer,” they said. As documented by screenshots, they added that TikTok users “would write letters to him if he was alive and that he didn’t hurt his victims ‘that much’.” One video in question bares the caption ‘Why do I feel sorry Jeffrey Dahmer?’ while some comments read “Jeff was a good man and that’s why he gave the men quick deaths, because he didn’t want to hurt them.” Lilian also shared an edit made by TikToker @coursettie, which specifically focuses on the relationship between Dahmer and victim Tony Hughes, attempting to depict it in a positive light. “People are making romance TikTok edits about a serial killer and his victim. They didn’t ‘go from people you know to people you don’t’, this is about a murderer and a man he killed. My heart goes out to the families of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims,” said Lilian. Others have shared their agreement with Lilian’s comments, comparing the situation to that of Netflix’s popular serial killer drama YOU. “I literally blocked a guy whom I knew IRL because he sympathized with the killer in ‘You’…They are sensationalizing and romanticizing psychopathic behavior” responded writer Jaylan Salah. YOU focuses on the life of a killer who uses several identities to evade capture, while attempting to find romance.

My wife would be killing me, not laughing,” one user replied. Another user questioned his thought process: “Why would you check payment options on tickets that expensive lol.” A third viewer shared a ‘trick’ with the TikTokers: “Just don’t use pay pal anymore. It will go off your credit in 7 years.”

TikTokers call for general strike on September 1st – but is it real? – Dexerto
TikTokers call for general strike on September 1st – but is it real? TikTokMore and more TikTokers are talking about a general strike that’s taking place on September 1st, but what is it all about? And is it real? In recent clips taking over TikTok, many Americans have suggested going on a “General Strike” against a range of economic struggles including overpriced rent, working conditions, and grocery costs. TikTokers are urging people to do all sorts of seemingly disjointed actions. Prospective participants are being asked not to pay their rent right away, not to buy anything, and to take off from work. They’re also encouraged to not support any major business or cooperation on this day. According to their official page, the strike is not organized by one single organization like the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. This movement is apparently comprised of “a network of people committed to a General Strike to radically change our country.” One of the original TikTok clips came from user @queenpettylex, who vented her frustrations about the current climate and the US government. She went on to suggest a strike could be the answer – and her clip blew up. “Don’t nobody show up to damn work,” she yelled. “They can’t fire everybody. Stop paying these damn bills, we can’t afford to pay the motherf***ers anyway, so why the f*** are we paying them? “The people need to wake up and realize we’ve got the power in our hands,” she continued. “We’ll shut this s*** down.” The TikToker later followed up with a clip encouraging so-called participants to stand outside news stations across the USA and sing in solidarity. The clip racked up over three million views, with more clips jumping on the bandwagon. Is the September 1 strike real? Despite some TikTok users showing their support for the proposed strike (which is not organized by an official organization), some are skeptical about its credibility. TikToker @crutches_and_spice claims that while they are in support of the General Strike, there are still several steps that need to be taken before the appointed date. Several teams and precautions need to be designated in order to pull off a strike as well as support protesters during the movement. “These one-day strikes should not be considered one-day strikes,” they advise. “They should be considered practice runs [for] making sure you have every single thing in place that you need for the longer strike.” However, folks like Jordan (@jordxn.simone) are advising people to flat-out withhold from striking on that date at all. She explains that while she is in support of the movement in general, the steps that need to be taken position Sept. 1 as a wildly unrealistic timeline. In her video, she calls the General Strike “poorly planned, poorly executed, and poorly shared,” citing the movement’s lack of clarity or community safeguards. In order for a strike to have an impact, it requires careful planning for a long-haul movement. As of now, many believe that the General Strike is nowhere near prepared enough to tackle that.

Influencers are catching heat across social media for attending massive house parties in spite of the ongoing public health situation, with names like Bryce Hall, Jake Paul, Charli D’Amelio, and more coming under fire for living it up in maskless get-togethers. However, two TikTokers have now been officially charged with breaking Los Angeles city ordinances meant to protect public health and safety during this time, as stated by City Attorney Mike Feuer during an August 28 press conference. Feurer charged the Sway House’s Bryce Hall and Blake Gray with violating the Safer LA Health Order and the city’s Party House Ordinance, citing two separate instances where law enforcement was called to break up massive parties — including Hall’s 21st birthday bash. “We allege these hosts have been incredibly irresponsible, with a highly-infectious disease spreading and parties banned because of it, and we allege they violated the law,” Feurer claimed. “…We allege that in many cases these parties and the party houses associated with them have hijacked the quality of life for neighbors in the affected communities.” While it’s highly likely that Hall and Gray will end up paying the fine rather than facing time in prison, Feurer argued that the charges should provide a clear message — that LA city officials are done playing nice. “If you have a combined 19 million followers on TikTok in the middle of a public health crisis, you should be modeling great behavior, best practices for all of us, rather than brazenly violating the law and then posting videos about it, as we allege happened here,” Feuerer continued. Both Hall and Blake have yet to publicly comment on the charges at the time of writing.

TikTokers call for an Uber Eats Hall of Fame for the “GOAT” delivery drivers – Dexerto
TikTokers call for an Uber Eats Hall of Fame for the “GOAT” delivery drivers TikTok: jackmacbarstool/UberA TikToker is calling for an Uber Eats Hall of Fame to recognize the “GOATS” of delivery driving with 100% satisfaction rates and thousands of deliveries to their names. Being an Uber Eats delivery driver is one of the most thankless jobs an individual can do. It asks you to constantly be on the road, on a bike, car, or motorcycle, carrying food for others to enjoy. Even when a delivery is completed, the payout can often be quite small, with a tip by the customer not always guaranteed. So to celebrate these drivers and give them some kudos, a TikToker is suggesting we create a Hall of Fame for the best-performing drivers, similar to what we do for the world’s elite athletes. Jack Macquire, a sports journalist for Barstool Sports, made a TikTok calling for a Hall of Fame for drivers putting up jaw-dropping amounts of deliveries while maintaining 100% satisfaction rates. “I think it’s time we build these Uber Eats drivers a Hall of Fame,” he said. “These are special, special numbers man. It’s special.” He goes on to show off some of the delivery numbers select drivers have put up, such as Manjeet who only started in January 2023 but has already clocked in 6,803 deliveries with a 100% satisfaction rate. Or like Bobir, who has recorded 10,307 deliveries since December 2019 and still holds a 100% satisfaction rate. And Abdul, who since July 2015 has completed 21,061 deliveries and holds a 98% satisfaction rate. “We spend all this time analyzing sports ball players, what about Manjeet?” Jack questioned. He ended off the video saying, “We need a blue collar Hall of Fame, we do. We got Hall of Fames for the silliest of things. Tell me why Avery doesn’t deserve a Hall of Fame? 12,000 [deliveries] for 12,000 [rides].” Naturally, many others in the comments liked the idea. “Michel the undisputed GOAT, but Manjeet is the next generation he has the potential to go all the way,” one joked.

TikToker’s brutal mistake brushing teeth results in a call to the poison helpline TikTok: mia.kittelson / Unsplash: Towfiqu barbhuiyaA TikToker’s boyfriend was forced to make a call to the poison helpline after she mistakenly brushed her teeth with something other than toothpaste. Ever been caught up in conversation and not paid attention to your surroundings only for something to go wrong? Perhaps you ran into something, tripped over yourself, grabbed the wrong thing? Well, that is exactly what happened to this TikToker, Mia Kittelson. Deep in a discussion with her boyfriend, the couple decided to settle down for the night while still going over the Beckham documentary on Netflix. And the documentary must have had an impact on the pair — or at least on Mia. So swept up in what she was saying, Mia didn’t pay attention to what tube she chose when it came to brushing her teeth. Instead of toothpaste, she grabbed Deep Heat. Posting to TikTok, Mia shared a video of her boyfriend calling the poison helpline after the brutal mix-up that saw her use a pain relief cream known for its burning sensation in her mouth. “So she accidentally brushed her teeth with, like a Deep Heat,” Mia’s boyfriend explained on the phone, claiming the tube looked “identical” to her Colgate toothpaste. While Mia didn’t include what advice the poison helpline offered, it seems all worked out in the end and she was able to make a full recovery. She revealed in the comments that she did not have to go to hospital following the call. However, she might be a little more careful when it comes to brushing her teeth from now on. In the comments, viewers shared their own hilarious mix-ups, with one person writing; “My mom once accidentally brushed her teeth with hemorrhoid cream.” Some even shared their own reasons for having to call the poison helpline in the past; “If it makes you feel better, I had to call poison control at like 2 am because I accidentally drank laundry detergent I had put in a water bottle.” Be sure to check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikToker’s “brilliant” response to catcaller has internet calling her a “genius” – Dexerto
TikToker’s “brilliant” response to catcaller has internet calling her a “genius” TikTok: berridaph / Unsplash: Josue Isai Ramos FigueroaA TikToker’s quick thinking resulted in a “brilliant” response to catcalling that many internet users are now claiming they will have to try themselves. According to research by ILR and Hollaback!, 85 percent of women in the United States have already experienced some form of street harassment before the age of 17. One of the most common forms of street harassment is catcalling, defined as unwelcome comments or sounds that are considered rude or derogatory. When it comes to handling these unwanted remarks, there are multiple routes to take, from clapping back with an insult to simply ignoring the caller. And now, one TikToker has offered her viewers a “brilliant” comeback that has them swearing they’ll use it the next time they run into any unwanted attention. TikToker and model Daphne Berry, who goes by ‘berridaph’ on the platform, posted a video recounting the incident. She said, “This man just catcalled me at the front of a construction site.” Not letting the man get away with harassment, Daphne yelled back, “Sorry, I don’t have any change.” Her quick thinking was met with laughter by the man’s coworkers, who then started “pointing” at the man and making him “feel so s***.” Her viewers called her response “genius,” one person writing, “I’m doing this next time.” Someone even gave their own suggestion, saying, “One of my [favorite] ones is telling them to say something funny when they tell me to smile. They always look weirdly confused.” However, others pointed out that they wouldn’t feel safe clapping back at a catcaller; “I’d do this but I’m not ready to die.” Another person said, “The way you say the story sounds wholesome. But the catcalling and general unwanted attention from men is so not.” Check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikToker’s broken headlight hack goes viral for getting her out of a ticket – Dexerto
TikToker’s broken headlight hack goes viral for getting her out of a ticket YouTube: Steve MontesA TikToker is taking the platform by storm after sharing her jaw-dropping ‘hack’ for dealing with a broken headlight, successfully avoiding a ticket. TikTok is home to a slew of viral ‘life hacks’ that help users find easier methods to carry out their daily tasks in creative, and sometimes completely unexpected, ways. While some of these shortcuts are for more general purposes (like curling your hair overnight with socks or cleaning your sheets by ‘laundry stripping’), this particular creator’s life hack helped her get out of a traffic ticket. TikToker ‘Presley’ owns a Chevrolet Malibu. Her vehicle has a broken headlight, and apparently, it’s not an easy fix. According to a commenter who owns the same car, mechanics have to actually remove the entire front bumper in order to replace the bulb — which can rack up quite a charge at the shop. Rather than ponying up the cash for such an expensive procedure, Presley decided on a far less pricey route by purchasing a bunch of stick-and-click lights, which can be purchased on sites like Amazon for a fairly cheap amount. TikToker goes viral for ‘hack’ to avoid broken headlight To circumvent her broken headlight, Presley stuck the small stick-and-click lights onto the front of her car, which surprisingly provided a dazzlingly luminous display comparable to the other working bulb. To say that commenters were impressed by her ingenuity would be an understatement. “Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do,” one user wrote. “A light is a light!” another said. “A win is a win,” another chimed in, prompting a reply from Presley: “It definitely was a win-win, because I don’t have a ticket.” Presley’s video has racked up over 22 million views in just five days as users continue to express their amazement at her hilarious life hack — although not everyone is a fan. Presley also replied to a commenter who was critical of her way of doing things, pointing out that a replacement bulb is “like four dollars.” “Not that easy!” Presley responded. “When you have [an] electrical problem, you could buy [an] over $1000 bulb, if it has electrical problems. [It is what it is and I] did what I had to do!” This is just the latest life hack to go viral on TikTok after one user’s ‘skin-taping’ anti-aging method caught the attention of Julia Fox.

TikToker’s bizarre house tour leaves viewers stunned: “My jaw has never been lower” TikTok: myramagdalenViewers were left stunned by a TikToker’s house tour which included bizarre features such as a “worm wall”, a nail-clipper shrine, and much, much more. The concept of originality and whether or not it can still exist is a heavily debated one. One TikToker, however, stands to prove that the concept is not dead yet. Myra Magdalen is known online for her eccentric and unique sense of fashion, and her style has been dubbed by viewers as maximalism on an “acid trip”. Now, she is giving fans a look inside her “very mojo dojo casa house” with a house tour that left viewers’ jaws on the ground. The 25-year-old fashion influencer’s house undoubtedly stands out from the crowd, with a wide array of unexpected objects incorporated into the design of each wall, door, and crevice. Here are just some of the house’s most memorable features: Two “keyboard walls”. – A “worm wall” above her office/sewing space. – A collection of picture frames all featuring photos of nail clippers (with the exception of one frame dedicated to Breaking Bad’s Walter White). – A gumball machine filled with pictures of Jimmy Neutron’s dad. – A tub of “inside dirt” with more pictures of Jimmy Neutron’s dad lurking under the soil. – Having amassed over 757,000 followers on TikTok in recent months, Magdalen has left many viewers “literally obsessed” with her “fever dream house”. “You are the coolest person alive,” one fan wrote. But respect to making it your own space!” Check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

TikToker’s boss compared to Michael Scott with viral golf hole-in-one challenge – Dexerto
TikToker’s boss compared to Michael Scott with viral golf hole-in-one challenge Happy Madison/TikTokA TikToker has gone viral after sharing their boss’ golf-themed challenge — that ended up sending employees home early — on the platform. One cool-headed golfer managed to get their entire company sent home early, and all it took was making a crucial putt with hundreds of people watching them. The vast majority of golfers will never have to worry about stepping up to the plate in front of hundreds of onlookers, but when your boss offers an early off for a made putt, you have to at least try. That’s just what one golfer did, and his heroic exploits were captured on TikTok for all to see. Golfer makes miracle putt for day off on TikTok In a TikTok posted by user culinaryflaire, we see an anonymous golfer sink the biggest putt of his life, and earn his entire office an afternoon off as a result. According to the description the office’s “boss said if any of the employees putt the ball in the cup we all get to leave the office early.” Surely, the bosses thought no one would be able to make the hallway long putt. However, they didn’t count on one man who was channeling his inner Tiger Woods (and even had a red polo on, to boot). Stepping up to the plate, this anonymous hero drained the putt from at least 50 feet, and earned his office a free early weekend as a result. Based on this performance, we’d say the likelihood of this particular company’s upper management offering this sort of challenge again is pretty slim. However, that doesn’t take away from the awesome feat pulled off by this employee, one that golfing TikTok, and his coworkers, won’t soon forget.

TikTokers avoid felony by playing rock, paper, scissors with police – Dexerto
TikTokers avoid felony by playing rock, paper, scissors with police TikTok/thickbwoyA clip of TikTokers supposedly dodging a felony charge by beating police in ‘rock, paper, scissors’ has gone viral, resulting in a heated debate about “privilege.” If you’ve ever been caught speeding, jaywalking or some other offense by a police officer, have you ever wished you could just play a game to get out of it? That’s exactly what a TikToker has claimed to happen to him and his friends. In a clip uploaded to TikTok earlier in April, user ‘thickbwoy’ showed off his bikini-clad friend on a boat preparing to square off against cops in a game of RPS. Using good old best of three rules (the only real way to play, let’s be real here), the girl was able to best her cop opponent 2-1, losing to scissors in round one, winning with scissors to secure round two and paper to smother rock to clutch out the set. After winning, the boat’s occupants erupted in cheers, and seemingly for good reason, as the uploader captioned the video, “we got out of a felony with rock, paper, scissors.” (click here if TikTok fails to load) Viral ‘rock, paper, scissors’ TikTok sparks backlash While it’s unclear if the caption was accurate and the crew really did manage to avoid a felony charge by winning a kid’s game, the clip did earn its fair share of controversy. With 18.6 million views, it seemed like everyone had an opinion with many taking an issue with the TikTokers seemingly abusing their “privilege.” “What kind of privilege is this…” one user wrote. “Results may vary on skin color,” said another. Read More: What does ‘W’ mean on TikTok? – Others doubted the clip’s legitimacy and hoped the caption was incorrect. “Felony stop would be an arrestable offense, no way a Game Warden is going to joke around with that type of offense,” a viewer commented. So far, thickbwoy hasn’t provided any additional details about the viral post, so don’t consider this to be the new meta if you ever find yourself in a legal predicament.

TikTokers bash plane passenger as ‘most reclined seat in history’ goes viral – Dexerto
TikTokers bash plane passenger as ‘most reclined seat in history’ goes viral TIKTOK: thepointerbrothers_A plane passenger with the ‘most reclined seat in history’ went viral for all the wrong reasons, as TikTok users are slamming his “selfish” move. The Pointer Brothers, who have over 1.4 million followers on the short-form app, shared a video of the frustrating ordeal. In the short clip, the passenger was seen fully reclining his seat on a five-hour flight, causing discomfort to the traveler behind him. The seat was reclined so far back that it almost touched one of the brothers’ noses. The TikToker, who was left with no legroom, reacted to this by jokingly holding up a red card in protest. “Easiest red card of all time,” the duo captioned the clip. “Five-hour flight time… Is this the most reclined seat in the history of aviation?” the in-text caption read. The video went viral with 4.6 million views, as many TikTok users took to the comments to bash the reclining passenger. “You can recline you seat but not to the point where the person behind you don’t have any more space to move,” one wrote. “I hate people who do that.” “People who recline their seats back like this are selfish,” another added. “Be kind, never recline. Unless you’re more important than the person behind you,” a third commented. “Should’ve kicked and bashed his seat,” someone else shared. While many were unimpressed with the plane passenger’s behavior, there were some who defended their decision to recline their seats. “I recline my seat every single time and never have I been upset with the seat in front of me for reclining their seat,” one said. “I’m always going to recline my seat ESPECIALLY on a long flight,” another stated. “All these people complaining about people reclining… unless you’re last row, yours reclines too. Relax,” a third wrote.

It’s finally October 2022, which means that content creators nationwide will begin their “spooky season” celebrations in their own iconic ways. For Brandon Johnson, who goes by the name Spiritwalker on TikTok, he saw a prime opportunity to scare a few city workers in his Spiritwalker costume on October 2. However, the reaction he received from the workers wasn’t exactly as planned. TikToker’s attempt at scaring workers goes hilariously wrong In the video, he walked out of his garage in his spirit walker costume and headed toward the people working on a power pole beside his garage. As he approached them, one of the workers laughed and said: “Wooooh. That’s a fast way to get knocked out.” They called over another employee, who also laughed at the costume. One user commented: “Bro it’s those blue collars you gotta be scared of they ain’t scared of nothin.” “Dude’s like “I’ve seen so much worse doing this” but I’m sure you gave him one hell of a story,” another commented. A third viewer mentioned that it might have worked better at night: “Bet you would have got a much different reaction if it wasn’t during the day at work.”
