Now, Barry has come forward with allegations against Mongeau, which sparked after he published a Tweet at the beginning of the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement. In his post, Barry took issue with Mongeau’s use of racial slurs in the past and asked that she use her platform to take a stand for the BLM initiative. “You made me feel, as a black person, invalidated, and I never felt as a friend I could tell you about the things that hurt me without it being spun back onto me,” Kahlen wrote. The YouTuber then came forward with a video on June 15 detailing a slew of microaggressions and “gaslighting” behavior from both Mongeau and her manager, Jordan after confronting her behavior during iDubbz’s infamous “say cheese” moment, claiming they framed him as the “angry Black person” and even spread rumors in the industry that he had been in trouble with law enforcement. Talib Kweli says “F*** PewDiePie” in wake of New Zealand shooting Youtube/pewdiepieAmerican hip-hop artist Talib Kweli has tweeted his unequivocal condemnation of YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and his fans, in the aftermath of the New Zealand terror attack on March 15. The attack on two mosques in Christchurch, in which 49 people are confirmed to have died, was streamed via social media by the attacker. Although it was quickly removed from social media sites, in a clip taken from the video, the attacker can be heard saying “subscribe to PewDiePie” prior to carrying out the horrific shooting. It has led to some accusing PewDiePie’s content of being inflammatory, while others argue that he has no responsibility whatsoever, and that it is simply giving the shooter what he wants by creating the link. After it became clear the shooter had uttered his name prior to the attack, PewDiePie released a statement on Twitter to say that he was ‘sickened’ and that the shooting was ‘devastating’. Talib Kweli also took to Twitter on March 15 and, in response to the clip of the terrorist saying “subscribe to PewDiePie”, stated that he cannot ignore what he deems to be “white supremacists and racism online”. He also says that, after previously accusing the Swede of racism, he was the victim of racial slurs directed at him by PewDiePie fans. After getting a response from a user arguing Kjellberg is not to blame for his fans’ behaviour, Kweli simply replied: “Fuck PewDiePie and fuck you. At the time of writing, the petition stands at just under 700 signatures, but it shows the extent to which some people believe PewDiePie’s content to be harmful. PewDiePie has been accused of racist remarks in the past, having to apologize for using the ‘N’ word during a livestream, or when he was alleged to have demonstrated anti-semitic behaviour by the Wall Street Journal. Many YouTubers have stood up in defence of the Swede since the New Zealand tragedy, and his large fanbase continues to stick by him too.

However, no matter how much new content she’s doing, one thing that her audience will always come back to see is her storytimes. Highlights of the match were posted by the YouTube channel TKDNEWS and shows off the two combatants duking it out with flurries of kicks, punches and blocks. But it’s the background that steals the show. Behind the fighters, a large screen displays photos of the two on the left and right sides along with what can only be described as health bars. When a fighter is hit, their green health is chipped away at. When they are low on health, just like in fighting games, it appears red indicating they are critical. This stuff can get people really sick!” he exclaimed. “We’re serving expired product because we’re forced to do it. Something’s gotta change. This is going to get people sick. When T-Pain, Slim Jxmmi (half of the renowned Rae Sremmurd), and Young Cash sat down on stream to hang out and listen to fan submissions, none could have expected to be so sweetly serenaded. Deciding which fan-submitted song to listen to next, Slim Jxmmi noticed one that was branded too edgily, too loudly to be ignored. It was called “Feet Pic” and it took very little of his encouragement for T-Pain and Young Cash to agree that the song must be played. Within literal seconds, all three were upended by a sultry melody and a smooth, reverberating bassline. By the end, and this is not hyperbole, the group of streaming listeners had laughed, harmonized, and shed tears. If we didn’t know that was T-Pain in that outfit, he could easily have been mistaken with a professional cosplayer, which is a huge accomplishment. T-Pain, if you didn’t know, is quite the gamer himself and streams on Twitch, and even boasts over 126,000 followers. He’s not quite on the level of someone like shroud or Tfue but he can handle himself. Leroy was an interesting choice of cosplay for the singer as the character is a brand-new addition to the Tekken series. He will make his debut in the third season pass and will be the first new character to debut as a DLC character. Getting new content is always nice and it’s safe to say T-Pain is excited. T-Pain’s cosplay might actually give Leroy Smith a boost to Tekken fans out there that don’t know who he is or might even be unaware he’s been revealed. The new character was first announced during EVO 2019 alongside Zafina, so he got this cosplay together very quickly which is pretty impressive all on its own. Ahead of the JBL Quantum Cup tournament, we asked the Fortnite streamer about the changes he’s made and how they’ve impacted his life, his play, and his community. After dropping from 265 pounds to just around 200, SypherPK is now in the “bulking” stage and putting on more muscle. But, while he’s focused on his diet and fitness, he’s managed to balance that with streaming and competing. Fortunately, Sypher found a few tricks that have helped him shed the pounds and keep healthy. SypherPK reveals tricks behind rapid weight loss During the early days of the Fortnite boom, the popular streamer noted how he’d stream for almost 300 hours per month. This didn’t exactly leave Sypher with a huge amount of time to develop healthy eating habits. In fact, the content creator noted how he’d often order in food two to three times a day. “Sure, I could have made some healthy decisions, but in [that] moment, my focus was just on the content, the brand, the stream. SypherPK has almost 5 million followers and 10,000 subscribers on Twitch, making him one of the most popular Fortnite-focused streamers on the platform. However, he’s not everyone’s cup of tea. In a Reddit thread titled, ‘How do people watch Sypher?‘, a Fortnite player described his streams as a “salty mess” and claimed he makes “excuses” and “dirty comments” after losing games and that his chat “fuels his narcissism.” The post didn’t fare too well upvotes-wise, but it started a discussion spanning over 150 comments. Eventually, it caught SypherPK’s attention too. First, he left a comment in the thread answering the question in the title by saying: “With their eyes, p*ssy.” It drew mixed reactions from users, with some grilling him for it and others mocking the original poster for getting “clowned.” Then, he shared a screenshot of the thread, along with his comment, on Twitter, taking a dig at the “‘Competitive Fortnite’ discussion.” SypherPK’s response attracted comments from other big names, including Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, who wrote “holy sh*t Sypher lol.” It isn’t the first time he clapped back at someone, either. YouTuber stars Jake and Logan Paul have made influencer boxing matches mainstream with the brothers selling out arenas while doing battle against combat sports icons such as Floyd Mayweather. The success of their fights ultimately led to Creator Clash which saw even more YouTubers and Twitch streamers step into the ring to duke it out against their content creator brethren. Now, SypherPK may be the next to get involved after claiming he would win against many of the top streamers on the internet. Against TimTheTatman and Ninja, however, Sypher wasted no time, saying he’d win easily, while still saying he’d have just a 50/50 shot if he fought Tfue. NICKMERCS didn’t take too kindly to the SypherPK’s confidence, responding, “PK never been in a fight in his life.” The dispute even gained the attention of the UFC Streams Twitter account who replied with some thinking emojis. Hopefully, one day we’ll get a chance to actually see some of these streamers duke it out, but for now, it’s all just a hypothetical. SypherPK explains bizarre feature in Chinese version of Fortnite SypherPK/Instagram/Epic GamesFortnite has been a global phenomenon for quite some time since its release in 2017 and remains one of the most popular games all over the world to this day. But with its global success also comes strange region-specific differences. It’s not uncommon for games to have certain differences depending on the country and language. These changes could be as simple as a game’s name. For instance Rockstar’s Bully was called Canis Canem Edit in Europe. In Russia, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shipped without the infamous “No Russian” campaign mission. But this multiplayer change in Fortnite could be one of the strangest. During a stream, Luminosity Gaming’s Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan explained a weird mechanic found only in China. “In China you play like a different version of Fortnite,” the streamer explained. “It has different rules and whatnot. If you have a lot of kills in a game, a little message will come up and it will say ‘you are the best player in this lobby. Do you want to leave and get the same experience for winning the game?’” The Chinese version of Fortnite launched in 2018 after a partnership between Epic Games and Tencent. In China, games need to be approved by the government and be compliant with the law. As such, there are some differences with titles. “It gives you an option to leave if you have a lot of kills in China,” SypherPK continued. “It gives you the option to leave the game and get a win. Like you basically get the XP for winning. That way other people have a chance at winning.” This isn’t the only difference either. After playing for three hours, the Chinese version of the game will drop your EXP to 50% and challenges will be disabled. The game will ask that the player “take a rest” for their health and “arrange studies/learning time”. According to Vice, an Epic Games representative confirmed the change was made to remain compliant with Chinese law. China is known for its strict censorship of games. In 2019, it enacted new rules banning blood, corpses and gambling such as poker from appearing in titles. Still, this change to Fortnite remains one of the oddest modifications from the gameplay perspective.

Syndicate Threatened with Arrest Over Owning Elon Musk’s Flame Thrower Device YouTuber Tom “Syndicate” Cassell has revealed that his recent purchase of Elon Musk’s ‘Not-a-Flamethrower’ device has got him into a serious spot of bother with the law. During a recent vlog on a trip in the United States, Syndicate explained that police had shown up at his home in Manchester while he was away, attempting to confiscate the flamethrower. On August 10, Syndicate posted an image from his door camera, showing a number of police officers at his home, saying the ‘heat were on him’. The police had been made aware of his possession of the flamethrower as it was in one of Syndicate’s previous vlogs. PewDiePie Sides with Ninja on Choosing Not to Stream with Women Upon his return to the UK, Syndicate has given an update on the situation, having been told by Manchester police that the possession of the ‘Not-a-Flamethrower’ is illegal. It breaches section 5 of the UK firearm act: Section 5 firearms act. Section 5.1b. (b)any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas. Breaching section 5, leads to breaching section 1, which means Syndicate is left with two choices. Either hand the Not-a-Flamethrower over to police, or they will search his house and take it. Syndicate says he has discussed with the police and a third option may be feasible. Removing a certain mechanism in the flamethrower could possibly render it in compliance with the firearms act. However, he then explains that there is currently a seal in place, which means the flamethrower is not operational anyway. Syndicates lawyer is apparently in Africa, but the police aren’t giving him much time, saying that they will “escalate” matters if need be. The Fortnite player linked up with fellow streamers Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan and Jimmy ‘HighDistortion’ Moreno as the team tried to qualify in the Trios section. After finding their efforts to be unsuccessful this time out, the squad have faced criticism not only for their teamwork overall, but NICKMERCS has very much taken the brunt from their performance – with SypherPK moving to defend his partner online. The Luminosity Gaming pro player admitted that they could have played better in a post to his official Twitter account on September 2, taking shots at those who have been attacking his friends online. “I will not tolerate hate towards my teammates. I’d rather lose with my friends instead of win with people who I don’t even care about. Some of you can’t see the big picture. When we do pop off it’ll be worth it. You’ll see,” he tweeted. One Reddit user wrote: “I’m a Nick fan. I’m not going to defend this. I had a great day watching that trio make some of the worst mistakes I’ve ever seen. It was like watching myself out there.” A second redditor posted: “He could shoot and kill him it takes half a second and then go back.” “He did an amazing job at removing that guys bush. 690 IQ play right here. Nobody ever even saw him,” was another response to the video – posted by bestoneyetforreal. Whether or not the team will come back together, shake off the criticisms, and get over the line for Champion Series qualification remains to be seen. They will have until September 15 to get over the line as the tournament builds towards the Season Finals between September 20-22. Syndicate has built a massive following on YouTube with almost 10 million subscribers on his main channel. Fans know him best for his popular series in Minecraft and Call of Duty Zombies. The British content creator is also known for his entertaining daily Vlog series on his ‘Life of Tom’ channel. In his January 11 upload, he had a brush with the law as he was pulled over by the police. Syndicate explained that he was going to test drive a brand new Mercedes AMG-GT R during his video, but, things didn’t go quite to plan. After getting to the dealership and highlighting some aspects of the expensive sports car, he set out on the road but was stopped by the police only minutes later. “Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have indeed been pulled over by the police,” he explained, recording the police car through his rear-view mirror. Topic starts at 5:09 for mobile users. He then revealed that, although he was driving, it was not his fault that the car was pulled over: “This has nothing to do with my driving and, in fact, to do with where the plates are, so nothing to do with me.” After watching the car dealer and the police officer talk for a couple of minutes, fortunately for Syndicate, he was able to finish off the rest of his test drive without any further problems. The YouTuber later explained that there was a lot more to his test drive then what was caught on camera. “There was an undercover cop next to us,” he added, “there was some sort of armed robbery going on in the town we went past and then we got pulled over by police.” When they had finished the test drive, Syndicate expressed that although he was a big fan of the car, he was unsure if he willing to commit to one as the waiting list for the new model could take him up to a year and a half to get one for himself.

The KSI vs Logan Paul fight is set to break internet records when the two popular YouTubers go toe to toe in front of thousands at the Manchester Arena, and millions online. The undercard of the main fight is providing its own set of storylines, with ComedyShortsGamer and Jake Paul duking it as the main co-event of the evening. Popular personality Joe Weller was convincingly beaten by KSI in February, but he wants back in the ring for the fight on Saturday August 25th, and fellow YouTuber Syndicate wanted the challenge. Following Joe’s offer to fight anyone at the event, Syndicate Tweeted out that he wanted to make it happen, and set about looking for a suitable bootcamp to train. With only a month and a half before it’s all set to take place, Syndicate confirmed on July 4th that he hasn’t been able to sort out a deal to fight Joe. Syndicate explained that he had attempted to acquire the services of the trainers at Ricky Hatton’s gym, a former boxing champion, but they had turned him down. “It won’t be going ahead and it does really suck. I’ve had everyone scrambling around to try and make this happen as fast as possible. We truly did try and jump on this opportunity. We had a month and like 25 days to do this, I said from day one that if I’m going to do this I want to work with the Hatton team because they’re literally around the corner for me. Sadly the team and everyone reached out to say “yo, this is the opportunity, if Tom’s got like a month and a half to get fit, he’s willing to give his all, he’ll be there every day”. They said they loved the opportunity but the simple fact is that they are full in-house. Unfortunately, they are completely filled with the fights with the pros with the trainers they’ve got at the moment, that they can’t actually give me that time to focus on this fight. If they managed to turn me around from this fitness level to a capable of standard of fighting and then win the fight, it would have been absolutely incredible.” Syndicate goes on to explain that he will be fighting on the undercard of the next fight, but he’s unsure currently about who he’ll be going up against as it’s all up in the air. But I just can’t wrap my head around this ‘systematically going through influencers tweets.’” The report will feature previous instances of Syndicate using words such as “faggot” and using “Jew” as an insult, to which the streamer says was a mistake but in no way intended to cause offense. “I’ve said plenty of inappropriate things over the years. None to ever offend anyone, but stupidly I still said them… Putting that banter online, not the smartest decision,” Syndicate said. The report has yet to go live, but is already drawing notable public backlash as the the streamer likened the report to another entry in a long series of articles from media made to “hit” online influencers such as himself and PewDiePie.

When it comes to YouTubers from the United Kingdom, there aren’t many that are more popular than Syndicate. The daily vlogger has shown his ability to play all games, starting with Call of Duty: Zombies before taking on regular multiplayer titles, and even battle royales with incredible ease. Yet, a lot of his 10 million fans tune in to watch his different Minecraft series – with the main examples being his classics in Hunting OpTic and Mianite. But, his most recent series, The Hunting, which followed him taking down members of OpTic Gaming and 100 Thieves came to an abrupt end after 25 episodes – despite hopes that there could be more. Outside of running 100 Thieves, Nadeshot still dabbles in YouTube videos and streams. After Syndicate’s final episode, titled The Final Battle went live on September 20, the YouTube star tweeted out his disappointment about its conclusion. After comparing it to his original Hunting OpTic series, which was filmed quicker than this most recent series and wasn’t spoiled by people “revealing the characters/storyline” on different streams, Syndicate also added that the original members “didn’t have the time” for the server this time around. Syndicate explains why he’s no longer vlogging on a Sunday YouTube: SyndicatePopular YouTuber Tom ‘Syndicate’ Cassell has revealed that he will no longer be vlogging on Sundays, putting an end to around three years’ worth of daily vlogging. Syndicate’s impact on the UK YouTube scene is profound, and he has been one of the biggest names on the platform for the better part of the last decade. For a significant portion of that, he filmed every day to share all of the highs and lows of his daily life with his millions of subscribers. However, in a video uploaded on January 6, Syndicate explained that he will be taking one day a week off of vlogging, giving him time to rest and do other things. It was evidently a big announcement to make for Syndicate, who has lived this way for around four years and may now find himself lost for time on Sundays, but he explained his decision in the video uploaded to his second channel, called Life of Tom. “For three years I did daily vlogging without fail,” he said. “I love it. I always have done and always will do. Vlogging gives me a purpose. But I am making the decision that I think is the smartest, and that is that for the entirety of this year, I’m going to be taking Sundays off.” He goes on to explain that this will mean no vlog uploads on a Monday, but does go on to offer an alternative plan that his viewers might get behind, suggesting that he might bring back ‘Syndicate Sunday.’ Cassell explains that this way, he can still have a video go up every day but can do things like one-off challenge videos that are easy to create and edit, meaning he leaves his Sunday completely free each week. Syndicate clearly appreciates that his daily vlogs may have become habitual viewing for his biggest fans, who will now go a day without content from him. He said: “A lot of you have watched me for so long, and I hope you’re cool with it, understand it, respect it. But what can you do every day unless you don’t have a house, you travel a lot, you don’t see your family all the time? I’m a family person.” Syndicate goes on to call himself a “daily-ish” vlogger, which seems an apt title since it’s really only one day missing. That said, it seems the daily vlog is really starting to lose its appeal to YouTubers, with many of the top names that have done daily vlogs in the past, like Casey Neistat, slowly stopping them.

Symfuhny denies using racial slur on stream: “I didn’t say the word!” In the aftermath of a clip from his stream that appeared to show him using a racial epithet, star Twitch streamer Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier has denied the allegations and explained how the situation unfolded. On February 27, popular content creator Symfuhny came under fire after a clip made the rounds on Twitter and Reddit that appeared to show him using racist language while talking to fellow creator Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani. After the incident unfolded, several other creators came to Lanier’s defense, but the Warzone streamer did not address the situation outright. A day later, Symfuhny has now taken the allegations head-on and denied using the language, while also explaining how the situation occurred. “I would like to say, first of all, I didn’t say it,” Lanier began. “A lot of people are like, ‘It’s about being accountable, just admit to it,’ dude I’ve literally never, I’ve never had this word in my vocabulary, ever, okay? Ever, not once. “The only people I talk to [are] Matt, Jack, Crowder, Brooke, my parents, my sister, those are the only people I talk to. You can ask any of them, I never use that word ever, never have, never will. And I didn’t say the word. “I stutter, I talk fast. it came out, sounded like I said something I didn’t. “But I mean, there’s a lot of people who think I said it, so I don’t really know what else I can do to defend myself but say I didn’t do it. “I really didn’t say it, I swear. Never have, never will.” The clip from his Twitch channel was later followed by a TwitLonger further explaining his side of the story. “I can’t tell you how to feel, but I can tell you I didn’t say the word,” Symfuhny stressed. “I don’t use the word. It’s not in my vocabulary.” “More than anything, I’m embarrassed and mad at myself that I jumbled my words so bad that I have to write this at all.” Lanier was also live on Twitch the following day, and the platform has not taken action against his channel based on those events. Myth — who was directly involved in the incident — already spoke up in defense of Symfuhny: “He genuinely mumbled up some words, and it came out like that. Symfuhny mocks bizarre DM hoping BrookeAB is cheating on him Popular YouTuber and Twitch star Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier has mocked a nasty direct sent to him by a fan about his relationship with fellow streamer BrookeAB. Symfuhny and BrookeAB were the subject of much speculation in the Fortnite community, as they became known for playing with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and his girlfriend Corinna Kopf. They confirmed their relationship back in summer 2019, and can be found regularly playing and streaming together. However, it seems that some anonymous social media users are jealous of the relationship. One even sent an unpleasant and scathing message to Lanier, accusing him of only being with the 100 Thieves star for “content” purposes. The message is overtly offensive and rude towards Lanier, stating that the author – who, unsurprisingly, runs an anonymous Twitter account – hopes Brooke is cheating on Lanier. Symfuhny shared the message to Twitter on January 11, with the caption: “Yo like she ain’t gonna date you homie”. It also states that they don’t know how Brooke is not “tired” of dating Lanier, claiming that she looks happier with other people. It finishes by describing Brooke as “perfect” while accusing Lanier of being a “mistake of life”. Symfuhny shared the message to Twitter on January 11, with the caption: “Yo like she ain’t gonna date you homie”. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like Lanier took the DM to heart, and dismissed it as the nonsense it is.

Sykkuno’s YouTube viewership rivaled Twitch numbers in first month after switch YouTube: SykkunoIn his first month on YouTube, Sykkuno’s viewership numbers rivaled those he had on Twitch, proving the move hasn’t had the negative impact that some people feared, and was even better in some instances. The internet stood still on May 2 after Sykkuno announced a shock move to YouTube — following in the footsteps of other streamers like DrLupo, TimTheTatman, and Ludwig, to find greener pastures for themselves. A month has passed since then, and he’s settled into his new home on the platform. As with every move, some assumed the switch would impact his viewership initially but figured it would bounce back eventually. However, according to a report by the ever-reliable Streams Charts, his viewership hasn’t been impacted by the transition during the first month at all. In fact, it was even better in some metrics compared to Twitch. The report started off with a bang by revealing that his first stream on YouTube, which occurred on May 3, peaked at 41,000 concurrent viewers — 33% higher than the amount he had during his final stream on Twitch. It climbed again the following week but eventually leveled out to numbers similar to what he was getting on Twitch. However, his average viewership was still one percent higher by the end of the month, which is a notable feat. The biggest takeaway from the Stream Charts report is that rather than his move being a case of ‘it gets worse before it gets better’ in terms of viewership, Sykkuno’s numbers were immediately better right out of the gate. Considering he also reportedly received a ridiculous amount of money to make the switch, it sounds like it’s been a net positive for the beloved streamer in more ways than one. As Among Us took a backseat to other games, the group have rarely gamed together – outside of a brief few days of GTA RP. However, they have seemingly found a game that they can all play and will be doing so on July 3rd. Sykkuno revealed the news to his fans during his June 28 stream. “We’re bringing back the old Amigops, I think July 3rd is the date we’re planning on, we’re coming back guys,” he said. The Twitch star confirmed he’s also trying to get four others to join them in whatever game they’re going to play. “It’s for a sort of new-ish game. It’s not a new game, but it’s a game we’ve never played before,” Sykkuno added. As fans scrambled to try and figure out what the unnamed game might be, Sykkuno noted that it’s tough for his iconic group to find games to play these days. “I’m just glad we’re trying to get everyone together, it’s hard to find games everyone wants to try out these days,” he continued. On October 19, Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter announced the launch of her own skincare range called RFLCT, dubbed as a “new kind of screen protection” aimed at heavy screen users. The products include items like a Facial Gel Cleanser and Eye Gel Treatment, which are all designed to “shield your skin from blue light damage and boost its natural strength.” However, the skincare range was quickly met with a huge wave of backlash, with many fans questioning the science behind the products. Rae has since said: “All the hate, the doubt, concerns and the criticism are all warranted and valid. I understand completely where you’re all coming from.” Now, fellow streamer Sykkuno has commented on the situation, offering sympathy to Rae after the controversy. “Oh man, you guys. I’ll be honest, I don’t know too much about it. As far as I know, it’s skincare, and I think skincare is important. I have a skin disease, I have two skin diseases actually, so that’s important. I just hope she’s doing alright. While Twitch’s first offer was “garbage”, they eventually backflipped and matched YouTube. However, a name blunder ended the debate. Sykkuno has finally joined the YouTube Gaming family in May 2022 after leaving his home on Twitch, where he boasted four million followers, to stream exclusively on their competitor. The move was a shock to some as YouTube continues their big acquisitions in the streaming space. However, for Sykkuno, it was easy because Twitch’s first offer “was just bad” compared to what was on the table. While the streaming giant ended up coming with “a very, very good offer”, a blunder in an email with the star’s name put the final nail in the coffin. Sykkuno shocked by Twitch backflip on “garbage” offer Sykkuno told viewers Twitch’s updated offer almost kept him onboard. It was a bit unexpected to the streamer, who was marred by previous controversies of Twitch lowballing other streamers. “I was shocked. Everyone thinks that they have this reputation for giving a garbage offer. And they did give me one, until they upgraded it to a much better one,” he said. The streamer hypothesized Ludwig’s big exit — and other big name departures like TimTheTatman — had something to do with Twitch’s insistence to keep him on. “I was almost ready to go ‘they cared,’” he continued. “I think it’s because maybe Ludwig had left already and, you know, they were kind of afraid.” However, what undid Sykkuno’s relationship with Twitch was a lack of professionalism. He showed an email he got from Twitch in which they misspelled the star’s name as Sukkuno, which he thought was a scam. “This was an official email I got from Twitch, and when I got it I had to email so many people asking if this was a phishing scam.” Venting his frustrations, the streamer finished up the explanation for his departure from Twitch expressing clear disappointment with the platform’s management. Naturally, many fans dig into their bank accounts and support him with paid subscriptions and donations. However, Sykkuno wants them to start treating themselves instead and support his streams by just turning up to watch – not with any money. Sykkuno wants fans to stop subscribing and treat themselves It was something a fan brought up at the start of Sykkuno’s March 16 stream, when they noted that the streamer used to receive more gifted subscriptions when he was back on Twitch. “These days, guys you don’t have to sub or anything, just showing up to the stream is all I want. The fact is, and I’m not trying to brag or something, doing perfectly fine money-wise, got a good deal moving to YouTube you know,” Sykkuno replied. “I think the best thing you can do for the stream is just the same thing that was always kind of the best thing to do, just show up and have a good time. During Sykkuno’s October 25 Twitch stream, xQc approached him on Discord to play Phasmophobia together, which quickly resulted in Sykkuno hilariously using Felix’s own shadow to scare him. Sykkuno trolls xQc with his own shadow After the duo ran into a house to escape a ghost, Lengyel immediately employed a strategy to stay safe. “You hold the left door, I’ll hold the right door,” he instructed. YouTube stars like Ludwig, Sykkuno, Fuslie, and Valkyrae were in attendance, having all ditched Twitch for their new home recently. Though, Sykkuno noted that they, well Valkyrae specifically, was a bit more popular than some Twitch stars. Sykkuno reveals Twitch fans ditched streamers to meet Valkyrae The former Twitch streamer was recapping his time at TwitchCon during his October 11 stream, when he referenced a story about how fans quickly ditched long lines for other streamers to try and meet Rae. “People abandoned their streamer’s line to get in line to meet Rae and it was bad,” Sykkuno said. “I feel like the other streamers just hated us, they absolutely hated us. “And, honestly, kind of fair I guess because how bad would it feel if you’re like ‘this is my meet and greet’ and you got like 100 people lined up and then the second Rae walks out, everyone looks over and is like ‘oh, well I’m going to that line now’ and they just ditched their streamer’s line. It was just like… oh man, that feels bad. It Takes Two took home the Game of the Year title, and Forza Horizon 5’s dev team scooped the accessibility prize. Despite the incredible amount of hype built up for the event, many viewers and streamers of the award show were ultimately left underwhelmed. One of those streamers was CohhCarnge, who said he was “disappointed” by the event and the way it handled advertisements for co-streamers. As the show was running, Sykkuno chimed in with criticism of The Game Awards, specifically regarding how many ads for games there were. Sykkuno criticizes The Game Awards While co-streaming the event on December 9, Sykkuno offered up his critique of the event. He said: “Do you guys actually want to hear the spicy take? After years of growing his brand on Twitch, he opted to join the Google-owned video site after he called Twitch’s initial offer “garbage.” He joins many other big-name streamers making the switch, most recently LilyPichu and Myth. Now, Sykkuno is back again with the disses, this time questioning Twitch’s parent company Amazon, as streamers jet towards greener pastures with YouTube. Sykkuno claims Amazon doesn’t back Twitch The 31-year-old streamer was live alongside new YouTube streamer Myth and Ludwig on July 12 when the group was discussing their Amazon Prime Day orders. As Sykkuno rattled off a list of items including an Air Purifier and vacuum, Ludwig interrupted and said, “Damn, you give money to your ex? Kinda weak bro, not gonna lie.” Sykkuno was confused, and Ludwig explained that he is indirectly supporting Twitch by giving his money to Amazon. He replied, “Here’s what I’m thinking, right. I don’t think Amazon actually backs Twitch or they would’ve given us better deals, right?” While Sykkuno played it off as a light-hearted comment, Myth responded, “Sheeeesh. During a race on Rainbow Road, he impressed Sykkuno after he pulled a few clutch moves to pull out a victory. xQc proves he’s the Mario Kart king The Mario Kart 8 competition got quite heated during the race on the infamous Rainbow Road. He quickly drove right off the map, interrupting the shell’s explosion and allowing him to hop right back on the trail. Sykkuno was shocked that it worked and shouted, “He just drove off?!” Later in the race, xQc utilized a short cut by driving directly off the lap which actually landed him much further than the rest of the drivers. Again, Sykkuno couldn’t believe xQc’s insane ticks: “He just drove off! Wait, is that a skip?! I’ve never seen that.” xQc finished the race by deflecting one final blue shell by using the Super Horn item, which blocks incoming projectiles. As xQc won the race, Sykkuno said: “Guys, he’s literally on a different planet. How does he know these tricks?! I’ve never seen that before.” The streamer explained how he pulled out the victory, “There were three blue shells and none of them hit me. Zero. You go forward, you drive off in a very forward way so you gain distance and dodge the entire shell.” Turns out that xQc was even impressed by his own ability to dodge all the blue shells, complimenting himself with an emphatic “yeah, it’s pretty crazy.” Whether it’s skill or sheer luck, we know we won’t be challenging the Canadian streamer to Mario Kart anytime soon.

During a recent live stream, one of Sykk’s viewers accused the streamer of “flexing that you’re rich” while he was discussing the price of flights for a possible overseas trip. Sykkuno had a surprising response for this assumption, revealing that he actually lives quite frugally in spite of what some critics might think. “‘Flexing that you’re rich?’” He read the viewer’s comment aloud. “I wouldn’t say that, but I did see a clip of Fuslie getting called poor by some random lady on the airplane. The duo teamed up once again for a game of ‘Valorant’ on May 27 until Valkyrae fancied playing something a bit more sinister. She debated whether to start playing the online horror game ‘Slenderman: Hentai Edition,’ but she feared it could mean risking a potential YouTube ban. Unfortunately, his fellow content creator Sliker was on the receiving end. Twitch streamer Sykkuno is best known for teaming up with his friends Valkyrae, Fuslie, and Disguised Toast for an eventful game of Valorant. However, the 30-year-old proved that he is just as skillful IRL as he is in the FPS after he managed to brutally take down his fellow streamer Sliker during a game of poker. Maintaining an understated poker face throughout the game, Sykkuno successfully tricked his opponent and walked away with a whopping amount of cash, leaving his friends speechless. Sykkuno destroys Sliker in poker On April 27, the Botez Sisters, Alexandra and Andrea were doing a poker livestream featuring several streamers playing their hands at cards. Some of the famous faces included Ludwig, QTCinderella, and Slime. As the poker neared its conclusion, the group realized that someone in the group had to have a Flush (i.e. all the cards had to be from the same suit.) After Ovilee May dropped out, it came to a showdown between Sliker and Sykkuno. As the duo went all-in with their money, Sliker had two diamond cards whereas Sykkuno had two clubs. However, it was Sykkuno who had the better deck and received another $3,300 into his pot, leaving Sliker stunned. Sykkuno’s sharp win obviously left the table astounded. However, later on in the stream during another hand, Sykkuno showed his good side by giving some of the winnings over to Alexandra. But for Sykkuno, who currently boasts over 3.6 million followers on Twitch, that’s never happened – and it doesn’t seem like something he’ll be joining one any time soon, either. During a Just Chatting stream on July 18, 2021, the popular content creator answered questions from fans, including one who wanted to know whether he would ever join an org in the future. His answer was true to his laid-back demeanor in streams, as he revealed that he would only consider joining an org that was “relaxed” in its approach to competitions and content. “Would you ever join an org? I’m gonna be completely honest, guys,” he said. “I have nothing against joining an org. But I would only do it if they were super relaxed.” While many orgs focus on highly competitive gaming, Sykunno has traditionally stuck to more social and friendly games like GTA RP and Among Us, so it makes sense that he would only join an org that was more chill. You know guys, I’m not trying to be weird but obviously, a few of them were interested,” Sykkuno said. “Honestly, if I did, there are only two orgs I really like. Well, actually three now and they’re all pretty much orgs that my friends are in. “100 Thieves, OTV, and OTK have a lot of my friends in them and that’s pretty much as close as it gets,” he added. “I don’t think I’ll ever join or anything, but yeah, my friends are there and that’s pretty much… I’m biased. However, Sykkuno ultimately decided not to stick around, and in one of his latest streams, he shared some details on what he’s planning to do next. “As most of you guys probably know, [I’m] moving soon,” he said. “So, I’m probably not going to be streaming for a couple of days after today obviously because there’s a lot of moving stuff going on.” Initially, Sykkuno is planning to move back in with his family, but then he’d evaluate his options and decide what to do next. “I’m probably moving home for a bit, and then we’ll figure it out after that,” he said. Sykkuno also said he would “probably” stay in Los Angeles in the long run but isn’t planning to buy a house. “That’s a little too expensive for me,” he said. “I don’t think that’s quite happening.” He described the move as a “bit of a hassle” but seemed excited about the future. He’s also adamant about not wanting to live alone. “I don’t want to live alone… I feel like it’s tough,” he said. This hilariously opened the door for one fan to try and make an ambitious deal. “Pay for my rent, and I’ll live with you,” wrote the fan. Sykkuno wants to voice act in Demon Slayer “I think it’s cool to be in an anime,” explained Sykkuno. “I hope I get a small role in an anime I really like – something like Demon Slayer… Give me a random demon slayer in the background that just dies, and have me make a noise. I’m not a voice actor, but have me just be a random dude in the back.” This would certainly be a step up from Sykkuno’s recent role in Tribe Nine, especially since Demon Slayer is currently one of the most popular airing anime.
