Streamers slam “predatory” new dating show ‘Twitch’s Most Eligible’ Twitter: TwitchsEligibleStreamers are calling out plans for a new dating show, ‘Twitch’s Most Eligible,’ which aims to pair up small female streamers with male streamers that have a larger following, calling it “creepy” and “predatory.” Dating shows have found great success in the past on Twitch, with Love or Host being the most notable example. The show is a blend of reality TV and Twitch streaming, and hosts a cast of creators of varying popularity to provide entertainment for their many viewers. The concept is so popular that it seems to have inspired a new show, called ‘Twitch’s Most Eligible’ that is set to follow a similar structure to hugely popular dating show ‘The Bachelor’ — but many are unhappy with the way the show is being handled behind the scenes. While Twitch is included in the name, the show does not appear to be affiliated with Twitch in any way. Streamer third_artifact, real name Mackenzie, posted a thread to Twitter documenting red flags she had found both from the website and the emails from those working on the show. First off, two streamers are currently listed as bachelors. @BananaSlamJamma and @Wingsofdeathx – however, neither of them have made a tweet about being on the show. Their bios on the official site show their average view count which bring me to the next red flag pic.twitter.com/6AcNp5syo2 — 𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔢 (@_artietv) February 14, 2021 She noted that the show is specifically looking for small female streamers looking to grow their audience, with the ‘bachelors’ being male streamers with higher follower counts. Mackenzie explained that “they are using streamers with thousands of viewers to lure in women with small audiences in hopes this show will be their ‘break out’ moment,” calling it “predatory.” about how messed up it is when men use their power in the industry to try to influence women and make them think it’s the only way they will be more successful. They are preying on women who may not know better- women who may not have heard about the SA allegations past summer. — 𝔞𝔯𝔱𝔦𝔢 (@_artietv) February 14, 2021 Many small streamers revealed that they had been contacted too, saying they “can’t believe how many women have been sent this,” and, that “the whole thing is so gross.” The show was reportedly intended to take place in a “Billionaire’s Palace in the Appalachian mountains,” across the span of 6 hours, and according to some of the emails sent by the casting agents, streamers would not be paid an appearance fee but would their travel expenses covered. The thread identifies several other sketchy details about the way the company is being run, using additional information from streamer Zach Bussey who was also researching the show and calling them out on Twitter directly. Why does your website read like it was written by a first year college student? What benefits do people involved get? You allude to a check – how much? — Zach Bussey (@zachbussey) February 14, 2021 People discovered that the identity of a woman sending some of the recruitment emails, Brittany Good, was fake, using an image of a popular Indian actress as an alias. Such a WILD explanation??? Why would anyone feel comfortable with someone using a fake name and photo to hire them??? pic.twitter.com/EhTAEYgI57 — Austen Marie 💚 (@AustenMarieTV) February 15, 2021 In a TwitLonger posted on February 15, the Executive Producer, Matthew Pelletier, addressed some of the concerns around the production. “I completely understand why people are skeptical of the show’s intentions given my mistakes in using these fake email accounts. If we’re lying about names, then what else are we lying about? Aliases are not cool when you’re representing a company, and I should have known better.” After addressing some of the specific concerns raised by people online, Matthew also revealed that “I have decided to stop the production of the show effective immediately while I discuss next steps among my team.” Countless smaller streamers revealed that they were contacted by the company, but following the backlash, it’s unclear whether the show will ever actually end up going ahead.

Streamers react to Eminem’s surprise album “Music to be Murdered By” – Dexerto
Streamers react to Eminem’s surprise album “Music to be Murdered By” Eminem – Twitter/YouTubeOn January 17, rapper Eminem dropped a surprise album, “Music to be Murdered By,” and now that people have had some time to listen to it, the reactions are pouring in. It’s a hip-hop fan’s delight as a new Mac Miller and Eminem album released on the same day, giving them a lot of new music to listen to. Many streamers and esports pros like to listen to music while they game, so this gives them a perfect opportunity to do so. It’s your funeral…#MusicToBeMurderedBy Out Now – https://t.co/q4TAFJUVGV pic.twitter.com/6PqnTjCKgu — Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) January 17, 2020 Since the album has been out long enough for people to listen to it several times by now, opinions are starting to come out. The general consensus of Eminem himself is his older stuff is considered to be better than his newer albums. His surprise release of “Kamikaze” in 2018 was looked at as somewhat of a return to form, but he has been silent since then. That album was released without any publicity and still got a lot of hype, so the Detroit rapper was likely hoping for the same thing with this new one. For the most part, it’s looking like fans have been enjoying it. One particular standout from the album is “Darkness,” which is a song that recreates the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas and calls for stricter gun control in the United States. Eminem has hit another level… Darkness is just such a powerful message. — Jordan Daley (@JDaIey) January 17, 2020 While a lot of people will find themselves focusing on the message of that song, there are several other songs that streamers are enjoying, including Godzilla. All in all, it sounds like this is shaping up to be a solid return to form for the 47-year-old rapper by these responses. Those Kinda Nights by eminem is the funniest song ive ever heard — Gingerpop (@Gingerpop) January 17, 2020 With all the mumble rap out there, Eminem dropping a new album is legendary. And there’s a non-explicit version of the album! 4 best songs of the album: pic.twitter.com/rgQ18iA2Rx — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) January 17, 2020 It’s like early 2000’s Eminem. I fuck wit it hard. Hopefully your second play through changes your opinion. — Wish The Ford Guy (@WishYaLuckk) January 17, 2020 Of course, the album has its share of critics from the streaming community, and they made their voices heard as well. Call of Duty League analyst Anthony ‘Nameless’ Wheeler calls the album one of the “worst listens top to bottom” he’s ever heard of a rap album. New Eminem album is not great sadly. Only 3 songs I enjoy. 1.) Stepdad 2.) Godzilla 3.) Lock It UpStepdad is like classic OG Em and I really like that. Nothing else on the album is very memorable. — Tyler (@I_AM_WILDCAT) January 17, 2020 Possibly his worst album and definitely one of my worst listens top to bottom of a rap album — Anthony Wheeler (@NAMELESS) January 17, 2020 On top of that, many fans are criticizing the rapper’s decision to use a lyric that references the Manchester Arena bombing during an Ariana Grande concert that left 22 people dead. This is so messed up! Many people (mostly children) were injured at this concert and some even lost their lives, and he thinks it’s ok to put this lyric in a song? @Eminem maybe try and have a little respect, and don’t use a terrorist attack to gain clout https://t.co/tnPLNxY8dD — charlotte (@7Paper_Rings) January 17, 2020 Music opinions tend to change upon relistens of an album, so we’ll have to see if any of these takes change in the future. In the meantime, you can listen to Eminem’s new album and form your own opinion.

Streamer’s pooch shares perfect reaction to Alinity and her dog Luna – Dexerto
Streamer’s pooch shares perfect reaction to Alinity and her dog Luna A Twitch streamer showed his dog a photograph of Alinity Divine and her pooch Luna to discover what its reaction would be to being the same breed, and it didn’t disappoint. Alinity and her pet have become somewhat of a spectacle on the internet ever since her exercise mishap which saw Luna poking around her “private” area when performing a yoga pose – something she dubbed as a “ridiculous” reaction. Now, a fellow Twitch streamer has taken the Columbian-Canadian and her dog to a whole new level by asking his own pooch of the same breed what it thinks of them. In a broadcast on December 30, a member of Bulgarian streamer ‘Immortal’s chat made a comment saying that “Alinity’s canine is called Luna,” presumably after noticing that his pet Arthas looked very similar. “Luna,” the 30-year-old read aloud, before addressing his dog. “Now you’re talking about Luna, yeah? Luna, Alinity’s dog, dude.” “I’m gonna show him a picture of her,” he explained, before he took to Google Images to pull up a photograph of the pair. “Yo, Arthas, Arthas, check that out, dude,” he said as he tried to get the canine to look at it. “Look at this!” Immortal exclaimed as he clicked his fingers towards his computer screen to get the pet’s attention. “This is Luna!” Hilariously, as soon as Arthas saw the streamer’s dog, he let out a huge yawn – either out of boredom or out of disinterest. This sent the Bulgarian into fits of laughter as his Twitch chat popped off in hysterics, too. “He’s not interested, man!” he laughed. “Yo, give me five, dude!” https://www.instagram.com/p/B0bTha4hZRo/ Immortal is a Counter-Strike streamer, and has been playing the game since the Half-Life mode released in 1999. He gives back to the community by hosting giveaways regularly, and by playing with viewers in various minigames and 1v1s. His dog even has its own Instagram account.

Streamer’s pug dog dressed as Dr Disrespect wins Halloween – Dexerto
Streamer’s pug dog dressed as Dr Disrespect wins Halloween Adorable might not be the word Twitch viewers would typically use to describe Dr Disrespect, but a pug dressed up as him is an entirely different matter. The streamer has over three million followers on the live streaming platform, attracting thousands into the Champions Clubs arena every time he starts up a broadcast. Unlike any other high profile name on Twitch, the Doc has built up an insanely recognizable persona online – showing off his patented catchphrases, eye-catching sunglasses, red attire, and a wig dripping from head to tippy-toe in success on his head each time he streams. Dr Disrespect is always wearing his costume, sometimes even in public. All of those things are part of the amazing character, is there a chance that a dog might do it better? The Two-Time was asking fans of his during the course of October to send photos of themselves dressed as the leader of the Champions Club for Doctober, a viral cosplay campaign – and there were some amazing impressions to take a look at. However, one featuring a cute little pug might be the best of the lot, as seen on fellow Twitch streamer P4tricia’s channel on October 31. After taking a break from playing Gears of War 5, P4tricia decided to show off not only her little pet, but also the impressive costume that she was able to pull off. The look included what appeared to be perfectly fitting glasses for the dog, as well as a miniature bulletproof vest – just like the one worn by Dr Disrespect on Twitch – and the final piece to the puzzle was, of course, a jet black wig. If you’re wondering about what the dog is called, P4tricia didn’t hesitate in giving it a brand new character name and it’s very fitting. During this stream, “Puggy Disrespect” was born. P4tricia confirmed Puggy Disrespect was entering the Doctober competition on the last night of October – Halloween. The pet wasn’t the biggest fan of the wig, but for the glasses it was a different story. She seemed to love them. Whether or not this will be a recurring segment for her future broadcasts remains to be seen, but there’s definitely an interest from the viewers. With just under 3,000 followers on Twitch and the clip of Puggy Disrespect racking up over double that figure in views, at the time of writing, there’s no doubt that the character could make a return sometime soon on P4tricia’s channel.

Twitch streamer’s mom sings “I’m a nasty hoe” as they get smashed together – Dexerto
Twitch streamer’s mom sings “I’m a nasty hoe” as they get smashed together Lampyboi710, TwitchA Twitch streamer and his mom have had a wild time on Twitch together, smoking and drinking as she declared she was a “nasty hoe” between indulging in medical marijuana and chugging her son’s Haz-I.E. IPA. It’s always lovely to see mothers and sons getting along together, and lampyboi710 taking time away from his games on Twitch to share some quality time since his mom was just as special as any other time. Normally when parents and children spend bonding time together, however, it’s not usually with a bong and an ice-cold India Pale Ale, especially live on stream. The two of them were laughing together, as lampyboi710’s mom sang “I’m a nasty hoe, I’m a nasty hoe,” before her son asked her to “chill the roast.” As lampyboi710, real name Justen, continued to beg her to calm down – “chill, chill, chill” – his mother declared she was a “rich bitch.” To add to the hilarity, lampyboi710 was talking with self-proclaimed Twitch ‘shitshow streamer’ JapandyJones, who was in the chat at the same time. Japandy encouraged Justen’s mom to keep drinking: “GET ‘EM MOMS.” Lampyboi710’s mom responded with a laugh, before declaring “Yeah, get it, mom! I’m with you [Japandy].” Justen seemed worried after that, half-heartedly telling his drinking companion that “Japandy is a very credible streamer, please stop.” Luckily for the 24-year-old streamer, his mom seemed to realize how serious he was being, and came to an agreement. “Alright, give me the beer and I’ll stop,” she demanded between belting out coughs. Justen obliged, and the two began to calm down. The celebrations with his mom are in line with his channel’s ambitions, the description of which proudly reveals that he lives in a “medicinal and recreational cannabis state of California”. Read more: MrBeast brings car customers to tears – His description also encourages his regular viewers to smoke along with him, and asks them “What’s everyone smoking on? Feel free to show off what’s in your pipe.” When he’s not getting smashed on stream with his mom and having a laugh, lampyboi710 regularly plays Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, and clearly loves having a smoke.

Streamer’s PC falls off desk and breaks during impromptu celebration – Dexerto
Streamer’s PC falls off desk and breaks during impromptu celebration YouTube: Joey DelgadoA Twitch streamer’s PC is a vital part of their setup, and everyone could feel the pain when StxrmFN’s came crashing to the ground. When many streamers first start streaming, it’s common to see them do so directly from their Xbox One or PS4, before finally moving up and upgrading to a PC. It’s a good feeling to finally have a computer that’s capable of streaming since it opens the door to many opportunities, like having notifications as one notable example. Eventually, streamers might even move on to having a two-PC setup, with one that’s running the game while the other does the heavy lifting for the stream. Stxrm was in the middle of a high-stakes Blackjack match when he hit 21, which rewarded him with $250. He celebrated this occasion by getting up and screaming “Let’s go!” as he walked around the room. As he sat back down to get back into the game, his PC came crashing down behind him. Since he had two PCs, instead of the stream just ending, viewers instead got to feel his pain when the computer hit the ground. “Oh my…” he said after the incident. “This has gotta be the worst night.” After being in shock for a little while, he decided to end the stream and mourn his loss. https://twitter.com/Stxrm/status/1228527955355238400 Even if you’ve never had this misfortune, it’s definitely relatable as nobody wants to see their most valuable items broken. The streamer didn’t go into detail as to whether anything was salvageable or not, but it certainly sounded like the case shattered when it hit the ground. The parts inside could be safe, but from the sounds of things, he’ll have to purchase a new case to house the meat of his PC. He also might want to consider buying a more stable desk or perhaps even setting his computer on the floor so accidents like this don’t happen again. At the very least, he got a viral moment out of it and a lesson well learned for the future.

Streamers LIRIK and Summit1g not impressed by Atlas – “it’s just Ark with water” – Dexerto
Streamers LIRIK and Summit1g not impressed by Atlas – “it’s just Ark with water” A number of popular Twitch streamers have dedicated their channels to broadcasting new Survival MMO Atlas – but have been far from impressed. After multiple lengthy delays to the game’s launch, and then players unable to get past the login screen when it finally did launch, Atlas was off to a bad start. When players finally got into the game, it didn’t get much better either, as a plethora of bugs and glitches currently plague the game, as well as hidden menu’s discovered that are copied directly from Ark. Ark: Survival Evolved is made by the same development team, and due to the similarities and this hidden menu, players are convinced that Atlas was originally meant to be a DLC of some kind for Ark. Making matters worse though is the promotional material which claimed that 40,000 players would be on a server, among other things which did not come to fruition. Popular Twitch streamer LIRIK had a theory about what happened with the marketing debacle, saying “There must have been miscommunication, where the dev was just like joking about 40,000 players, and the guy who made the trailer misheard him, and then actually put it in the trailer.” LIRIK was not the only unhappy Atlas player either, as 76% of the reviews on stream are negative. Another popular streamer, Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar, who had played the game for hours on his Twitch stream, said “It’s the most tedious game on the planet. […] It’s fucking Ark, with water in between the islands.” After giving up, he explained on Twitter that he too had been taken in by the trailer, and that it was the “worst game of 2018” for him. I feel like I was jebaited by a great trailer and got ARK w/ water in between islands. Worst game of 2k18 for me. Awful. Sorry. — summit1g (@summit1g) December 24, 2018 LIRIK made similar complaints after giving up on the game himself, posting to Twitter to vent his frustrations. He said that “the hype was more exciting than the game”, before explaining that it was really a missed opportunity for the developers, as players are crying out for a good game in this genre. Atlas shows that people are bloodthirsty for a functional, large scale, pvp/pve, optimized multiplayer game on PC despite the battle royale craze. No Dev has delivered yet. — Lirik (@LIRIK) December 23, 2018 Many players are angry with what they view as misleading advertizing, with trailers and blurbs giving a false sense of how the game would play. Of course, trailers and marketing for video games always exaggerate the final product to an extent, but in the case of Atlas, the exaggeration was more egregious.

Kandyland’s microwave kills broadcast in facepalm-inducing twist – Dexerto
Kandyland’s microwave kills broadcast in facepalm-inducing twist Twitch: Kandyland / Wikimedia CommonsThanks to the advent of IRL streaming, just about anyone can broadcast their daily lives for all to see – but sometimes, these streams can capture hilarious, awkward, and downright unexpected moments as they unfold in real time. Popular Twitch streamer Emma “Kandyland” Carlsson is known for the hilarious hijinks that occur during her IRL streams, including an instance in early May where she almost burned down her own kitchen. This time, however, she didn’t set her house ablaze – instead, she brought an abrupt halt to her stream, thanks to the unfortunate placement of her cellphone in proximity to her microwave. Kandyland is a popular IRL streamer on Twitch – and one of her broadcasts ended in hilarious disaster.https://www.instagram.com/p/B0-mwQSIjob/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Kandyland was unpacking an IKEA haul when she decided to show her audience an odd issue with her electricity, claiming that one of her lamps would flicker at times. To showcase the phenomenon, Kandyland seemed to put her phone underneath her microwave, turning it on to see if the machine would sap the electricity and cause the light to flicker. Instead, the microwave ended her broadcast, kicking the stream offline in a hilarious turn of events that left the streamer clearly embarrassed. “I’m dying!” she exclaimed through laughter. “Am I that dumb? …I’m so stupid!” The streamer went on to explain that she’d merely placed a glass of water in her microwave to see if the light would start flickering – although she didn’t anticipate that her broadcast would be cut short due to her experiment. As previously mentioned, this wouldn’t be the first time Kandyland has gotten into some shenanigans during her IRL streams at home: she likewise set off a smoke alarm during a cooking stream in May, although she couldn’t figure out why it sounded pre-emptively. The smoke alarm likely scared the pants off a few of her viewers due to how loud it was, with the streamer desperately moving pots, pans, and fanning the alarm with a pillow in an attempt to quiet the head-splitting noise. [WARNING: The clip below is LOUD.] It looks like Kandyland’s home-improvement shenanigans are far from over, however, considering her latest stream – but it certainly makes for some good, old fashioned entertainment.

Streamers hit out at Twitch as they don’t acknowledge Arab Heritage Month – Dexerto
Streamers hit out at Twitch as they don’t acknowledge Arab Heritage Month Twitch streamers have started hitting out at the platform for its lack of acknowledgment of Arab Heritage Month and Ramadan. The start of April marked the beginning of the worldwide Muslim celebrated month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community Ramadan, as well as Arab Heritage Month. However, although Twitch celebrates multiple different months of culture and inclusive initiatives such as Black History and LGBTQIA+, the Amazon-owned platform is still yet to acknowledge Arab Heritage and Ramadan. In an April 2 tweet, popular Arab Twitch streamer ‘frogan’ hit out at Twitch for their lack of acknowledgment and support for Ramadan and Arab history. “I’m very disappointed that Twitch isn’t acknowledging Ramadan nor Arab streamers for Arab Heritage Month knowing that MENA streamers pull so much influence on the platform,” frogan wrote. She continued, adding that the live streaming platform doesn’t even have MENA category in their demographic surveys: “Even if Twitch wanted to do something for Arab Heritage Month, their demographic survey (which they use to find creators for these events) does not have a ‘Middle Eastern/North African’ category.” Even if @Twitch wanted to do something for Arab Heritage Month, their demographic survey (which they use to find creators for these events) does not have a “Middle Eastern/North African” category. pic.twitter.com/LaoepomLTO — frogan (@fr0gan) April 2, 2022 “Must admit I was thinking the same. I’ve been trying to talk more about Ramadan in an approachable and understandable way in my streams,” responded GameSpot editor Tamoor Hussain. He continued: “Would be nice to see Twitch generally acknowledge and uplift voices from the Muslim community. Or even Arab/South Asian streamers.” Must admit I was thinking the same. Streamers furious after Twitch adds new ad tools while hate raids continue – Dexerto
Streamers furious after Twitch adds new ad tools while hate raids continue TwitchA new Twitch feature is finally letting streamers combat pre-roll advertisements and put a lot more power in the hands of content creators, but many users would rather action be taken against hate raids, instead. On September 13, Twitch announced its new “ad manager” functionality that would let streamers schedule ads, set their length, delay them to begin a broadcast, and more. While there isn’t an option to remove pre-roll ads completely, by scheduling a 90-second ad every 30 minutes, streamers can keep the pre-rolls from playing. The addition of this new tool was met with both praise and backlash from members of the community. While many applauded it, some still feel like Twitch doesn’t have its priorities right amid the hate bot raids still plaguing the site. Glad to see you’ve got your priorities right. Streamers being threatened, doxxed, racially and transphobically attacked. But don’t worry, we can autoschedule ads 👍 — Annie Krevice (@AnnieKrevice) September 13, 2021 “Glad to see you’ve got your priorities right. Streamers being threatened, doxxed, racially and transphobically attacked. But don’t worry, we can autoschedule ads,” streamer Annie Krevice wrote. “You still haven’t done anything to those spreading hate through hate raids. This tip is just about Twitch getting their money cuz the creators make pennies from those ads,” another remarked. You still haven’t done anything to those spreading hate through hate raids. This tip is just about twitch getting their money cuz the creators make pennies from those ads. — Say Their Names (@Fai_81) September 13, 2021 “Thanks for a feature that NO ONE ASKED FOR. How about some features to deal with hate bot raids? Those have been going around and you aren’t doing anything about them,” yet another user slammed. Twitch has promised new tools are in the works to combat hate raids and is even taking two suspected users involved in the raids to court. For some, however, until the issue is dealt with, these new features mean very little. Thanks for a feature that NO ONE ASKED FOR. How about some features to deal with hate bot raids? Those have been going around and you aren’t doing anything about them — AStar_ (@AStar_Games) September 13, 2021 Still, for those who want a better ad experience on Twitch, these new tools should bring something to the table. Many are hopeful that the next time Twitch makes an announcement, it’s about solving the hate raid problem as that is still the biggest concern for a lot of users on the platform.

Streamer’s girlfriend has amazing reaction to her first Fortnite win – Dexerto
Streamer’s girlfriend has amazing reaction to her first Fortnite win A couple who were livestreaming their race to a win in Fortnite Battle Royale on Twitch shared a wholesome reaction after the girlfriend won her first-ever match. Streamer Fortnite with the launch of Chapter 2 and have each been chasing their first win ever since. While Kiwiking has only 60 followers on Twitch, he posted it on Reddit and received thousands of upvotes and overwhelmingly positive feedback from users on the platform. In a stream on Tuesday, October 22, the couple were once again livestreaming their race to a win when – seemingly, much to the surprise of both players – Kiwiking’s girlfriend, Sam, managed to pull the win out of the bag. Both players turned to each other, mouths wide open, clearly in disbelief and overjoyed, before Sam jumped up and fell into Kiwiking’s arms, embracing each other in a truly heartwarming moment. All Sam could manage was to simply exclaim, “I won,” while Kiwiking hugged her and kept repeating “You did it!” While trying to contain her excitement, Sam briefly summarized her win to her boyfriend, saying, “My first win on Fortnite! I stayed calm, I placed traps, I killed… I actually won!” with his only response being “Well, I guess I owe you an Apple Watch now.” In the Reddit post, Kiwiking confirmed that he now owed Sam an Apple Watch due to a bet they had with each other, and also preached how special it was to be able to game together and share these moments. Hopefully watching his girlfriend get a Victory Royale will inspire Kiwiking to push that much harder to get a win for himself, too. Maybe he could buy himself an Apple Watch as a reward.

Streamers explain what they love about Minecraft ft. Myth, Valkyrae, CouRage, and more Microsoft / TSM Myth – Twitch / 100 ThievesMinecraft is undergoing its own renaissance in 2019 and a lot of big-name streamers are jumping on the bandwagon and they revealed just what they love about the game. With many games growing stale and Fortnite having a giant mech romping around in Season 10, many streamers are turning their eyes towards Minecraft. It can be tough from the outside looking in to see just what the allure is of Minecraft, which is why Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins asked for people to explain what they enjoyed. “Serious answers only please, why do you like Minecraft?” Almost immediately, the responses began rolling in and players had plenty of good reasoning for Minecraft being such a fun game for them. Read More: PewDiePie sets deadline for 100 million subs – “It’s a game that is super rewarding to build, explore, and be creative in,” wrote Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop. “Creating a server with friends makes it even more fun and the storylines you can make are never-ending. Remind me of early Fortnite — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 19, 2019 Many of the replies do focus on the outright openness of the game and how you can practically do anything you put your mind to. “It’s a game that allows you to follow a linear path of progression but also lets you set and accomplish your own goals,” said Ali ‘Myth‘ Kabbani. “And whether it’s your own goal or something on the linear path it always feels super rewarding when you’ve finished one task you’ve been trying to accomplish.” It’s a game that allows you to follow a linear path of progression but also let’s you set and accomplish your own goals. And whether it’s your own goal or something on the linear path it always feels super rewarding when you’ve finished one task you’ve been trying to accomplish. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) August 19, 2019 Others have touched on how it’s a lot of fun to play with friends. “I love the randomly generated worlds,” tweeted Rachel ‘Valkyrae‘ Hofsetter. “Makes it so fun to explore and there’s just an endless amount of stuff to do. Also playing with friends and others streamers makes it even more entertaining! ALSO, it’s scary and difficult sometimes.” Of course, you have some players just saying they like because there aren’t any mechs like WILDCAT said. With this question, it sounds like Ninja is open to jumping into Minecraft, and that has been amplified with his wife sending out a tweet asking if there is any interest for viewers. Only time will tell if he actually decides to jump into Minecraft. It wouldn’t be his first time as Ninja has participated in Minecraft Monday but this would be a completely different experience.

Streamers face outrage for sticking forks in outlets in shocking trend – Dexerto
Streamers face outrage for sticking forks in outlets in shocking trend Kick: GrishStreamers are facing backlash for sticking metal utensils into appliances and electrical outlets, sparking concern that their antics might inspire impressionable viewers to do the same. On January 20, Australian streamer ‘imboggles’ copped a 30-day suspension from Twitch after sticking metal forks into two toasters. In an obviously edited bit, the streamer was flung backwards as sparks flew from the appliances… but despite the incident being completely faked, he still received a swath of backlash from viewers. It looks like other broadcasters are following suit after boggles’ clip went viral, with one Kick streamer recreating a similar moment that’s also sparking a heated debate online. Kick streamer sticks wet fork into electrical outlet Kick streamer ‘Grish’ is at the center of yet another conversation on the ethics of dangerous viral challenges after his latest broadcast caught traction on social media. During a January 22 live stream, Grish decided to partake in what he’s calling the ‘outlet challenge’ by sticking a wet fork into an electrical outlet. After sticking the fork in the socket, Grish’s stream played a pre-recorded and edited bit where the outlet exploded with smoke, showing himself ‘knocked out’ on the floor of his house. Various clips from the broadcast have found their way onto Twitter/X, leaving netizens concerned that impressionable viewers might try to recreate Grish’s antics and seriously hurt themselves. “Don’t do these challenges, kiddos,” one user cautioned. “How long until this kills somebody live?” another asked. “Keep pushing this fake meta till some kid kills themselves doing it for real,” another said. keep pushing this fake meta till some kid kills themselves doing it 4 real. 💀 — Angelica Reed (@Angelica_Reed1) January 23, 2024 Despite the backlash, Grish seems to be eating up the attention he’s getting online… but this wouldn’t be the first time a viral online trend has caused outrage over the danger it could pose to impressionable audiences. In fact, TikTok famously banned the ‘milk crate challenge’ back in 2021 after doctors reported an increase in injuries as the viral trend took over the internet, sparking oodles of videos of netizens recreating the fad for their own pages.

Streamers divided over Twitch’s last-minute SUBtember gifted sub reveal – Dexerto
Streamers divided over Twitch’s last-minute SUBtember gifted sub reveal Twitch/Unsplash: Stanley LiTwitch has revealed discounts on gifted subs for SUBtember with just five days left in the event, and many users don’t know how to feel. For the last few years, Twitch has run an annual event during the month of September that gives users on the platform a chance to sub to their favorite creator at a discount. They announced SUBtember 2022 on August 26, revealing that a fan-favorite feature of the event was missing: gifted sub discounts. Social media erupted on September 26 when they realized Twitch had quietly added the sought-after offer just days before the event is over and users of the popular platform aren’t sure how to feel. Twitch users divided after “surprise” gifted sub SUBtember discount Twitch users initially found out about the gifted sub discounts by seeing them on site, and then found out that the company uploaded their initial SUBtember blog post. “It’s a SUBtember surprise! Now you can get 25% off gift subs starting September 26 at 11 am PT. There’s no limit to how many gift subs you can drop to a single friend or an entire community,” it reads. “Make the most of SUBtember and get gifting before this offer ends on September 30, 2022, at 11:59 pm PT.” Twitch users react to SUBtember gifted sub announcement Shortly after the announcement, users of the platform began sharing their thoughts about Twitch adding gifted sub discounts with just four days left during SUBtember. One user tweeted: “Man Twitch did us all so dirty this SUBtember. Makes ya wonder who’s running things and why they are so out of touch with the platform.” Another said: “We knew this was gonna happen, but still sucks that they tack on gift sub discounts at the end… I feel like Twitch would have made more money in volume if they did it from the start” However, many other streamers explained that they are just happy that Twitch added gifted subs and are prepared to stream as much as possible throughout the end of SUBtember to take advantage of it.

Streamers criticize Twitch over hot tub streams controversy – Dexerto
Streamers criticize Twitch over hot tub streams controversy TwitchDebate has sparked among Twitch streamers and fans over the rise in ‘hot tub’ streams, where broadcasters literally stream from a hot tub, usually wearing a swimsuit. The platform’s rules have been criticized as unclear, leading to a grey area for potentially suggestive content. Hot tub streams aren’t exactly a new thing on Twitch, and were somewhat common after Twitch updated their attire guidelines in 2019. Twitch said that certain clothing was appropriate depending on the location, and so swimwear at a beach or pool was permitted. Twitch has since updated these rules, and no longer specifically mentions locations, but does have rules about swimwear. In 2021, hot tub streams are all the rage once again, an issue that was brought to light in a number of viral social media posts, many criticizing both the streamers and the platform. Controversy over Twitch hot tub streams Twitch streamer MsBananas posted images of four streams, writing “Went on Twitch and seriously got confused as to what app I was actually on… What in the actual f**k happened to Twitch…?!” Two of the images posted were of hot tub streams, while another was a pole dancing stream. Went on twitch and seriously got confused as too what app I was actually on…. What in the actual fuck happened to twitch…?! I really wanna know…. 🤢🤮 pic.twitter.com/gs6LDjRpey— Nanners 🎮🍣☕️🦋 (@bbynanners) March 27, 2021 The Tweet sparked debate, as a number of content creators weighed in, some who strongly disagreed. Streamer Pokket replied: “If you think someone is breaking ToS report them and move on…” Im not insecure. I just dont feel it appropriate for a platform like this. but yeah im a woman hater cause im not a feminist who accepts this sexualization and has morals. I love women. i just feel like streaming should be more than sexualization and money. Bute that MY opinion. — Nanners 🎮🍣☕️🦋 (@bbynanners) March 28, 2021 Twitch’s rules to blame? 39daph, a streamer with over 800,000 followers, said that it was Twitch who should face criticism, not the individual broadcasters. “I don’t think it’s fair to hate on women doing the hot tub meta,” Daph said. “Twitch has the power to do something about it but chooses not to. Their inconsistent enforcement of rules is definitely strange.” also i should note female korean streamers have been banned for less btw — daph (@39daph) March 30, 2021 Twitch’s rules state: “Swimwear is permitted as long as it completely covers the genitals, and those who present as women must also cover their nipples. Full coverage of buttocks is not required, but camera focus around them is still subject to our sexually suggestive content policy. Coverage must be fully opaque, even when wet. Sheer or partially see-through swimwear or other clothing does not constitute coverage.” Pink Sparkles, another popular streamer, thinks Twitch has become much more relaxed about their enforcement: “It seems they’ve loosened up their approach a lot more recently.” They used to be on my ass about basically everything a couple of years ago, closely monitoring my stream, and it seems like they’ve loosened up their approach a lot more recently. I’ve gained too much quarantine weight to feel comfortable in a hot tub on stream anyway ahah 🥲 — Izzy G ⭐ (@Twitch_Pink) March 30, 2021 So far, only one streamer has been banned following a hot tub stream, but KiaraaKitty says it was actually due to one of her guests having a “wardrobe malfunction”, rather than simply for the stream itself. Twitch’s rules, and enforcement of said rules, are under constant scrutiny from the community, as bans are meted out, and can make or break a streamer’s career. It remains to be seen if Twitch makes any updates specifically to address the growing trend of hot tub streams.

Streamers claim Twitch payouts were lowered without warning – Dexerto
Streamers claim Twitch payouts were lowered without warning TwitchA slew of Twitch streamers are claiming they received their lowest payouts ever from the website as it continues to face backlash amid multiple changes and updates. Twitch has faced a swath of outrage over the last two weeks, starting when the platform created a proposed update to its branded content guidelines in early June. These new restrictions around advertisements were eventually removed — but other issues soon took their place, such as when Twitch prohibited multi-streaming on any other “Twitch-like” platforms. Most recently, Twitch has actually brought back its 70/30 subscriber split with Partnered creators… but the joy from larger streamers regarding this latest change has come alongside complaints from smaller streamers who claim their payouts have been much lower than before. Partnered streamers lash out at Twitch over “lowest ever” payouts On June 15, Partnered Twitch streamer ‘Babywock’ uploaded a video to Twitter calling out the platform after receiving the “lowest payout” he’d ever gotten in a little over a year of broadcasting. “The numbers are not lining up,” he explained. “…now, you guys are messing with my food. You’re messing with the roof over my head. You’re messing with the hard work that creators put into this platform. I need answers.” Babywock isn’t alone. A number of other streamers took to the replies to share similar stories, with one streamer even claiming she received a negative payout from the site. In a screenshot, creator ‘kitty venom’ showed that she’d actually been charged $91.56 at the beginning of the month. “I’ve been streaming for like a year and a half and have never had this happen, or at least never noticed it,” she said of the situation. “Pay attention guys. Sad times.” i had to take a little break from stream and went to check my rev at the beginning of the month… it was negative… i’ve been streaming for like a year & a half and have never had this happen, or at least never noticed it. pay attention guys. sad times. 🥺 pic.twitter.com/ab906yCe2R — kitty venom (@kittyvenom) June 15, 2023 Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that this is a problem affecting many Partnered creators who are seeking answers. This is just the latest issue to plague Twitch following outrage over its return of a 70/30 sub split with the induction of its new Partnered Plus program. Although Twitch recently revealed that it’s bringing back this highly-coveted sub split, there’s a major catch to the clause that’s also inciting outrage from streamers — Dexerto reached out to both Babywock and Twitch for comment on the situation. Twitch claimed that it could not comment on the matter due to “privacy reasons” for the streamers involved, but we spoke with Babywock in a tell-all interview, which you can read right here on Dexerto.

Streamer’s cooking broadcast goes south after hot drink spills on partner – Dexerto
Streamer’s cooking broadcast goes south after hot drink spills on partner Twitch chefs “birxandjess” experienced a sudden catastrophe in the middle of a December broadcast after a piping hot drink got upset during a taste test. As one of the net’s largest live streaming platforms, Twitch offers a wide variety of content for viewers of all tastes and preferences. While many streamers broadcast video games or share their nights out on the town, some choose to perform live music or even sleight-of-hand tricks — but couple “birxandjess” bring a different totally different vibe to the table. Birx and Jess are two streamers who share their love of food on a near-daily basis, cooking up a slew of delicacies that they post to their Instagram account for a mouth-watering compilation of good eats. However, one of their December streams took a drastic turn, after boyfriend Birx got a bit too enthusiastic while rearranging some plates. Birx was showing off his latest creation to Jess, which included a red wine sauce, when he encouraged her to eat up, rearranging the plates on the table for better access. During this task, one of the plates knocked into a cup of steaming hot tea, which spilled onto Jess’s lap. The drink must have been near-boiling, as Jess immediately cried out in pain before removing herself from the table, presumably to deal with the scalding burn. Although Birx quickly ended the broadcast to deal with the injury, the couple returned to the stream not long after, with Jess admitting that the drink had hurt her inner thigh in what was deemed an unfortunate accident. “It really did f**king burn my leg,” Jess revealed. “If I could show you, I would, but my whole leg was all red. It was super hot. It was literally all over here. I took my pants off and ran over there. …it wasn’t f**king fake. It was totally an accident.” Despite the shocking mishap, the couple managed to proceed with their evening — although it’s likely both parties will be more aware of hot drinks on the table, in the future.

Streamers call for Twitch to stop taking 50% cut of subscriptions – Dexerto
Streamers call for Twitch to stop taking 50% cut of subscriptions Pixabay/TwitchMultiple Twitch streamers have called for an end of the platform taking half of subscription revenue, and are urging the Amazon-owned platform to alter the split. While YouTube typically takes 30% of a streamer’s subscription revenue and Facebook is currently not taking anything at all, Twitch takes 50% of subs. While some streamer’s can negotiate a more favorable split, the majority of affiliates and partners will retain only half of the typical $4.99 subscription. Twitch streamer Sorrey kicked off the conversation on August 9 with a simple tweet directed at the streaming juggernaut: “We are tired of only making 50% revenue from subscriptions.” The message was echoed by many within the community, receiving over a thousand retweets, and sparking conversation about the topic on social media. Dear @twitch, We are tired of only making 50% revenue from subscriptions. Sincerely, All streamers on your platform. — Sorrey (@SorreyTV) August 9, 2021 “It’s kind of baffling how this is still a thing. Twitch does not deserve to take 50% of revenue when all they do is supply a platform for us to create on and that’s it,” one user agreed. “The fact is, 90% of streamers on the platform don’t even make enough to get paid out every month,” remarked Twitch partner Taylor Rae. “So considering that, is it really so crazy to be asking for 60/40 or 70/30 for top performers? I don’t think so.” it’s kind of baffling how this is still a thing. Twitch does not deserve to take 50% of revenue when all they do is supply a platform for us to create on and that’s it. Full-time streamers are struggling to pay bills and it’s super sad — Notwhatuexpected (@Notwhatuexpectd) August 9, 2021 Not everyone was in agreement, however, with a few people pointing out how one of the big advantages of streaming on Twitch is that more eyes can potentially be on you. This can result in more discovery and opportunities to earn subs. Additionally, former Twitch employee Chris Blume shared some reasons why streamers don’t get more of their revenue. there are FAR too many amazon/twitch bootlickers in these comments 😬 the fact is, 90% of streamers on the platform don’t even make enough to get paid out every month. so considering that, is it really so crazy to be asking for 60/40 or 70/30 for top performers? I don’t think so. — Taylor Rae (@tayraeiscray) August 9, 2021 “I’m pretty sure 99.9%+ of all streamers would not believe how expensive it is just to keep the servers up and running. Let alone employee costs to improve things and marketing, which benefits those same streamers,” he explained. “50% is not a raw deal at all.” “Twitch’s 50% has to also pay for the small streamers who aren’t providing money to Twitch but are using Twitch’s resources,” he noted. Twitch’s 50% has to also pay for the small streamers who aren’t providing money to Twitch but are using Twitch’s resources. People replied to the original post complaining about small streamers not making any money…yeesh. — Chris Blume (@ProgramMax) August 9, 2021 Subscription prices have also been changed significantly on the platform in 2021. Twitch introduced regional pricing, meaning users outside of the USA can pay a more reasonable price when weighed against their local currency. This caused concern among streamers about a drop in revenue, but the platform has argued that the increase in overall number of subs should balance the difference. Further, for the first three months, Twitch promises to guarantees 100% of a creators’ revenue from prior to the change. But, with YouTube and Facebook Gaming offering more enticing splits, some content creators may be tempted to make the switch.

Sanchovies unbanned on Twitch after making bomb threat on stream – Dexerto

Ludwig, Mizkif, more streamers blast Twitch over Erobb’s “insane” 30-day ban – Dexerto
Ludwig, Mizkif, more streamers blast Twitch over Erobb’s “insane” 30-day ban YouTube: Erobb221The streaming community has come out in force in support of banned Twitch streamer Erobb, including Ludwig and Mizkif, after he received a 30 day ban for the platform. The reason is yet to be publicized. On September 8, Twitch streamer Erobb221 was hit with a 30-day ban on the platform. And while the exact reasoning for the ban is still unknown, Erobb himself speculates that it is due to a line of threatening comments he made towards one of his viewers in offline chat. Erobb recounted the incident, admitted he said to a viewer “I cannot wait to see you at TwitchCon, I’m going to beat the f**k out of you.” In the days following the announcement of the ban though, streamers have rallied around Erobb, voicing their confusion at why he has been subjected to such a long ban. Nick ‘nmplol’ Polom posted on Twitter, expressing his confusion at the different types of bans Twitch gives out for certain offences. In particular, he calls out the platform for doing nothing to combat the issue of “view botting” for years and for the minimal bans streamers who perform sexual acts live have been facing, adding at the end of his post “life really isn’t fair is it?” The Twitch banning system has been under heavy scrutiny lately, with many users and viewers of the platform calling on more consistent guidelines to be maintained. At the end of August, Twitch streamer Kimmikka was banned after being caught engaging in sexual acts during a live stream. However, her ban was lifted after only a week. Ludwig also posted online about Erobb’s Twitch ban, calling it “insane”, with multiple question marks also added to further highlight his confusion at the decision. In a different approach, Mizkif extended an offer to Erobb to come on their steam so that they can be banned together and “go fishing”.

Can streamers breastfeed on Twitch? Streaming platform updates rules after HeatheredEffect controversy – Dexerto
Can streamers breastfeed on Twitch? Streaming platform updates rules after HeatheredEffect controversy Instagram/HeatheredEffectTwitch has decided it will now allow streamers to breastfeed after a recent controversy in which Heather “HeatheredEffect” Kent had a clip removed without warning. As Dexerto previously reported, mother-of-four HeatheredEffect was breastfeeding during a Just Chatting stream in an attempt to normalize breastfeeding. When a clip of the streamer went viral and was viewed over 20,000 times, some users thought this was a violation of Twitch’s policies on nudity. The clip then disappeared from Twitch without any warning. An angry Heather posted the deleted clip to Twitter on July 24 and wrote, “This clip (which had over 20k views and would’ve helped tremendously with the #normalizebreastfeeding movement) was deleted by Twitch with no explanation. We obviously have a long way to go in the fight to normalize breastfeeding.” Read More: Pokimane disturbed after Greek proposes what her superpower would be After users pointed out to Heather that the clip went against the company’s ToS, she pointed out that content matters in these situations. You can make a difference!” HeatheredEffect also included a copy of a message Twitch sent her. “After further discussions between Partnerships, Safety Ops and Trusty and Safety there is alignment between all teams that breastfeeding is not and will not be against the ToS.” “As you so eloquently put it ‘breastfeeding is not lewd’ and we agree with you,” they added and revealed the the site’s guidelines will need to be updated. Twitch has had a lot of controversy regarding what is and what is not considered nudity lately. Recent, xQc was apparently supposed to be suspended for three days after he showed what he called “a piece of dick” during a broadcast. However, the very next day, the streaming platform restored his account. It will be interesting to see what else changes with Twitch in the future as the company decides what is acceptable to broadcast and what isn’t.

Streamer’s bizarre reaction to dying in CSGO will leave you in stitches – Dexerto
Streamer’s bizarre reaction to dying in CSGO will leave you in stitches The game of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can be very rage-inducing, and this Twitch streamer had an extremely strange reaction after he was killed during a match. CSGO has always been a game that relies on quick reflexes and strong knowledge of map rotations. Even the slightest mistake can lead to a death that will cost your team the round. If you play the game for any length of time, you’re bound to come across a death that you think was suspect, or a time when you’re killed by someone you think you’re better than. We saw this frustration boil over which led Twitch streamer ‘tense198_v2’ to pick up his mouse and dangle it over his desk, where he then started spanking it and calling it “bad” as he watched his team play out the remainder of the round. Usually, when players get angry at a game, they rage in ways different than this, but we can’t fault someone for finding a new way to blow off some steam. It’s definitely a bizarre series of events that get even weirder when you see get to see it for yourself. Of all the ways to deal with a death, this might be the strangest yet. At the very least, it’s a pretty amusing way to watch someone get over their post-kill stress. Out of all the esports titles out there, CS:GO has to be among the most frustrating, so while this reaction might have been a bit over-the-top, it’s far from the first time someone has acted out after dying in the fast-paced first-person shooter, and it definitely won’t be the last. With the game now being completely free-to-play, it’s very accessible to new players, but those who have been playing for years will run into no problems steamrolling newbies. This could lead to all the new players out there having similar reactions as this Twitch streamer did, but, hey, it’s all part of learning! If you do find yourself out there on the virtual battlefield, try not to lose your cool too much.

Streamer ‘YourMotherIsaFish’ hits out at Twitch after ban for “Harassment via Username” – Dexerto
Streamer ‘YourMotherIsaFish’ hits out at Twitch after ban for “Harassment via Username” Twitter: @yourmotherisafiContent creator “YourMotherIsaFish” has been hit with an indefinite Twitch ban, with the reason given “Harassment via Username.” The ban has now been lifted. A Twitch streamer for many years, “Yourmotherisafish” was handed an indefinite Twitch ban on April 11. The streamer reports that this happened right in the middle of her Resident Evil 3 stream. “There’s no way, @TwitchSupport I just got banned LIVE for my username, even though you’ve used my clip with it before and it was fine,” Fish shared on Twitter moments after being banned from the platform. According to the ban notification, the “yourmotherisafish” name constituted “harassment via username”, violating the platform’s community guidelines. Curiously, other users and Fish herself were quick to point out that official Twitch media previously used clips from her live stream which often featured her full username. Former Twitch staff member djWHEAT tweeted: “I’d say you’ve got reasonable grounds for an appeal,” featuring a screenshot of a post from the official Twitch account featuring Fish and her full username. Twitch lifts ban for “harassment” via username On April 12, the ban was lifted, as the official Twitch Support account responded to the streamer. “Hey Fish, our team doesn’t work directly on safety issues such as this, though a member of the Safety team has informed us that this suspension has been removed. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience whilst the relevant team investigated this,” wrote a member of the support team. This is not the first time however that streamers have been left stumped by bans due to their username. In 2020, streamer “Piece of Sheet” was banned for an “inappropriate” username, as was “Pajja.” Some of these bans could be automated, as Twitch attempts to crack down on real harassment through the use of offensive usernames. Bot accounts with hateful usernames have been used in “hate raids” in the past, as usernames are not picked up by automod like chat messages are.

Streamer with Tourettes reveals her most awkward moment in hilarious story – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourettes reveals her most awkward moment in hilarious story Twitch streamer ‘Sweet_Anita,’ has been gaining major momentum ever since clips from her broadcasts have gone viral – and she just provided her viewers with another gem in a recent stream on October 25. Anita went live to answer a series of questions from her viewers concerning her Tourette’s, one of which was, “What’s the number one most awkward tick that comes to mind?” Anita’s forthcoming story was just as magnificent and inappropriate as you could probably guess. “Could be the time I looked over my shoulder and looked at a paramedic right in the face as I was butt naked and covered in shit,” she said to the camera with a straight face. “Not my shit – I fell in a shit pit, basically.” She explained that the paramedics were cleaning the excrement from her person inside the ambulance when the incident occurred, after which she slipped into a tick. “…I turned around, naked, looked this woman straight in the face and said, ‘Would you like a fisting?’” She continued. “There have been quite a few awkward moments. It’s hard to pick just one.” Anita is very open about her Tourette’s and finds humor in the condition, leading to a multitude of hilarious moments being clipped from her Twitch stream and spread throughout Reddit – including the trending clip where she broke into a tick in the midst of listing her favorite games. Anita’s Twitch stream is growing rapidly, with her daily viewers skyrocketing on the platform as of October 15, after clips from her stream made the front page of Reddit.

Streamer Yabbe slams Twitch in damning response to new hot tub category – Dexerto
Streamer Yabbe slams Twitch in damning response to new hot tub category Twitch: YabbeVariety streamer Yabbe was on the verge of tears as she slammed Twitch for introducing a new category specifically for hot tub streamers and others who wish to wear swimwear. Nothing has divided Twitch’s creators and viewers quite like the hot tub meta. Several big streamers have defended the practice, with Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter saying she ‘doesn’t see the issue’ with hot tub streams. On the other hand, Malena Tudi criticized d Twitch for potentially creating a “whole different type of reputation” by allowing the use of exposing clothing on their platform. In light of this controversy, Twitch added a brand-new “Pools, hot tubs & beaches” category to its website on May 21, drawing praise from some parts of the community. However, other parts of the community have criticized Twitch, claiming they haven’t fully addressed concerns. A vocal critic of hot tub streams, Yabbe passionately voiced her strong opposition to the creation of this new category, which she believes “undermines” her status as a streamer. “Why do you not care Twitch? Is it because I don’t have a kid’s pool in my living room? Do I not matter because I’m not naked? Holy s*** get a grip already. You are f***ing over every woman on this platform who is not using onlyfans as a stepping stone into an early retirement. You are pissing me off. Read More: Amouranth hints at no more hot tub streams – “This is only Twitch covering their own ass. This is Twitch saying we are ok with softcore p*rn on their website. Twitch has shown again and again that they are inept at having a website like this,” she said on her May 21 stream. “They have no management, they have no PR, they have no people to talk to their creators.” Yabbe also threatened to quit the platform and take up an offer to stream for Facebook Gaming, but stated her reservations behind doing this. “I have been here for so long, I am so invested. I love this community, I love these streamers, I love chat, I love everything about it,” she added. Yabbe also spoke out on Twitter, where she pleaded with the platform to act. She said: “You acknowledged hot tub streams etc are harming the women on your platform who are not sexualizing themselves… Why not act?” This is embarassing @Twitch you had the chance to do better but missed the mark completely.https://t.co/VdS498YdVi You acknowledged hot tub streams etc are harming the women on your platform who are not sexualizing themselves or using Twitch as a onlyfans promotion, why not act?— Yabbe (@ImYabbe) May 21, 2021 In the announcement, Twitch said, “being found to be sexy by others is not against our rules, and Twitch will not take enforcement action against women, or anyone on our service, for their perceived attractiveness.” Even though Twitch has finally acted on hot tub streaming, it seems unlikely that the controversy will disappear anytime soon.

Streamer with Tourette’s has enjoyed huge channel growth after her clips went viral – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourette’s has enjoyed huge channel growth after her clips went viral A Twitch streamer with Tourette’s syndrome recently had a number of clips from her stream go viral, and it has resulted in her following growing massively on the platform. Anita, who goes by ‘Sweet_Anita’ on Twitch, is not even partnered yet, but is fast approaching 100,000 followers – currently at 80,900, an increase of over 70,000 in October alone. She is very open and humorous with her Tourettes, often laughing it off and using it to create hilarious moments which have then been shared on social media and Reddit. In one such moment from October 19, Anita is explaining what games she plays, primarily Overwatch, when suddenly a tick occurs and she goes with the flow. The clip made it to the top of one of the biggest sub Reddit communities, r/Videos, garnering over 1 million views in a matter of days. Embracing her Tourette’s and using it to her advantage in streaming sets Sweet_Anita apart from the crowd on a very saturated platform, as Twitch continues to grow and more people attempt to embark on a streaming career. Support from her ever-growing community has now donated enough money for Anita to invest in a better PC setup, improving on what she called the ‘potato PC’ she is using currently. Her following count has shot up in the month of October, as statistics from trusted social metrics website SocialBlade show. In another clip, Anita speaks about how streaming has helped her with the syndrome, boosting her confidence enough to do public speaking. This clip too went viral, thanks a particularly blunt ending, but if anything only helped Anita convey her message. In the description of her stream, Anita describes what it’s like having Tourette’s, and her most awkward tick ever. “[Tourettes is] kind of like having obscene hiccups. I’m not thinking most of the things that I end up saying when I tic. [On most Awkward tick]: There are too many awkward ones to list here. The best ones involve firemen, nurses, and customer service workers.” As for the risk of saying something against the Twitch Terms of Service due to her Tourette’s, Anita says she hopes Twitch would tolerate it provided it was a tick and not an intentional comment. You can watch Anita stream regularly on her Twitch channel, where she often streams Overwatch or simply talks with her viewers.

Streamer with Tourette’s has hilarious reaction to big donation – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourette’s has hilarious reaction to big donation Sweet_Anita, TwitchPopular Twitch streamer ‘Sweet_Anita’ is known for the hilarious moments that occur during her broadcasts – which usually involve the onset of sudden tics, due to her acute Tourette’s syndrome. The streamer experienced one of these moments in the midst of a broadcast on December 8, during which she received a major donation from one of her followers. While Anita was obviously excited by the £400 donation, she was interrupted by a tic that turned the entire situation upside down in a hilarious turn of events. “Every time you yell cat, I nervously look at my cat Charlie, oof!” the donation message read. Anita raised her eyebrows in surprise at the amount, going on to address the donator in thanks – or, rather, she made an attempt to do so. “Leo – what?” she began. “What a virgin – what a tasty virgin! Yeah guys, what the fuck!” She went on to compliment the donator before being interrupted once more. “You’re amazing – what a bitch, what a virgin bitch,” she continued, apologizing for the tic’s interruption. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Leo.” This is far from the first time Anita has had a tic interfere with her stream; she experienced an equally hilarious debacle during a game of Overwatch on December 3, where she attempted to explain her condition to other players in the team chat. Anita has been incredibly open about her condition and finds the humor in the awkward moments that arise from it, even recounting some of her finest moments on stream for her audience.

Streamer With Racist Username Banned After Smashing Keyboard Over His Head in Rage – Breaking it in Half – Dexerto
Streamer With Racist Username Banned After Smashing Keyboard Over His Head in Rage – Breaking it in Half A Twitch streamer with a racist username on Street Fighter V smashed his keyboard over his head, breaking it in half, and has now been banned from the site. The clip of the streamer, who went by “PrimeableHD” on Twitch, quickly circulated on Reddit, resulting in his ban, with his very racist in-game username clearly visible. Playing Street Fighter V, Primeable gets beaten in an online match, and cannot contain his anger as he yells expletives and eventually picks up his keyboard – snapping it in half with his forehead. The original clip, along with his channel, has been taken down from Twitch, but you can watch it below, with his Street Fighter username visible in the top right. Warning: Loud Primeable’s Twitter account has also been suspended, although it is unknown whether this is related to his Twitch suspension. Twitch has been increasingly punitive towards hateful behavior and language on stream, so it is reasonable to expect that the cause of his ban was the username, rather than the contents of the clip itself. It is also possible that he has received a suspension for self-harm – by smashing the keyboard – but with such an offensive username, Twitch have surely taken action against it. More: PewDiePie Mocks Logan Paul “Lies” in Casey Neistat Interview, Addresses Demi Lovato Controversy – Primeable also streams on YouTube however, and his channel is currently still available on the site. In fact, he multi-streams, so his broadcast is available on both Twitch and YouTube simultaneously, and the video is still up on his channel – including the keyboard smash moment. You can watch the stream in full below, with the keyboard rage at the 1:33:25 minute mark. If YouTube is equally as strict against the username however, it may not be available much longer.

Streamer with Tourette’s attempts ASMR with incredibly predictable results – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourette’s attempts ASMR with incredibly predictable results One of the most exciting things about Twitch is sharing in live moments as they happen, but no channel is as blissfully unpredictable as Sweet_Anita’s stream and even more so when fan requests are thrown into the mix. Anita is a UK-based streamer who has gone through life with acute Tourette’s Syndrome, and although met with hardships in her life because of it, she has come to embrace it all the while creating an actively supportive community. Anita’s positivity and carefree approach to life coupled with spontaneous and sometimes crude tics, makes her one of the most exciting up-and-coming streamers on the platform even when viewer requests go terribly wrong. The streamer routinely humors her viewers’ specific requests, and after an unfortunate attempt at singing some songs she decided to try ASMR for a stint. Anita lowered her voice to the appropriate ASMR tone, and after a few tics here and there was able to string together a few great sound bytes of the requested change of pace. The tics were frequent, but her Chat were met with some rare “whisper tics” to Anita’s and her Chat’s surprise. Although, more than a few loud and abruptive tics surfaced that interrupted the mood, it was kind of expected that that was what the viewers were hoping for. Both Anita and her Twitch Chat have no remorse for any obscene comment or failed attempts that come from the streamer. Read more: Twitch streamer has hilarious reaction to the number of growing Fortnite channels on Twitch – Instead, moments like those are eagerly met by her Chat looking for a some laughs from the tics that sound as if directed to them.

Streamer with No Viewers Has Very Underwhelming Reaction to Shroud Hosting Him with 33,000 People – Dexerto
Streamer with No Viewers Has Very Underwhelming Reaction to Shroud Hosting Him with 33,000 People As any aspiring streamer will know, the best way to grow your stream and increase your followers on Twitch is to be blessed with a host from a popular streamer. So when shroud hosts you with over 30,000 viewers, you would understandably be overjoyed – unless your name is Narsiq – a streamer who had less than 20 followers prior to shroud’s random act of generosity. Shroud, real name Michael Grzesiek is one of most popular names in live streaming and gaming entertainment generally, with over 3.5 million followers and regularly attracting thirty to forty thousand viewers concurrently. Formerly a professional Counter-Strike player, shroud built his stream up on the foundation of fans he had from his time as a player before going full time with streaming last year. But like anyone else he knows the struggle of trying to grow a channel, a solid viewer base and following, so is known to occasionally bless a lesser known streamer with a large host. Hosting is a feature offered to all Twitch users whereby they ‘host’ another streamer’s broadcast on their own channel, in turn sending their viewers to the other channel. Perhaps for Narsiq though, who rarely pulled viewers in the double figures previously, it was all too much at once and the moment seemed to pass him by. Instead of the outburst of elation that would be expected when your viewer count suddenly jumps up to 30,000, Narsiq remained stoic and unmoved. Maybe his reaction will gain him a few extra fans that otherwise wouldn’t have thought twice about simply turning off the stream otherwise, once shroud had finished his. And considering his underwhelming reaction has now garnered over 10,000 views he may have inadvertently increased his exposure even more so.

Streamer WishYouLuckk slams Twitch after ban for “threatening” troll – Dexerto
Streamer WishYouLuckk slams Twitch after ban for “threatening” troll YouTube: Wish You LuckkPopular Twitch streamer Sam ‘WishYouLuckk’ Salcedo has criticized the platform after he was handed a seven-day suspension for allegedly “threatening to share another person’s private personal information.” The streamer, known for a variety of games including Destiny 2, Apex Legends and Fortnite, formerly a pro player for CLG, has amassed over 150,000 followers on his channel. But his growth has been cut short – again – following his second suspension. He was banned on October 12, but was initially left in the dark over the exact cause of his punishment, with the standard email from Twitch only explaining that he had violated their community guidelines by sharing or threatening to share personal information of another person. I’m not upset. I’m disappointed.Because @Twitch has now done this twice to me without ever providing proof or context as to what they are speaking about. Honestly, I could use a vacation. But holy fuck I wish I would’ve at least thrown my cat or shown my pussy for this :woozy: pic.twitter.com/ZBEin33CXi — Wish You Luck (@WishYaLuckk) October 12, 2019 He followed up soon after, revealing that the exact reason for the suspension was apparently because he threatened to reveal a trolls’ face. “Got a 7 day suspension for “threatening” to show someone’s face on my stream who was insulting how I looked,” the streamer explained, before appearing to highlight fellow streamer Amouranth’s ban for accidentally exposing herself on stream – for which she was only suspended for three days. UPDATE Got a 7 day suspension for “threatening” to show someone’s face on my stream who was insulting how I looked. This is a promise to my channel. My next suspension will be for showing my entire dick to stream by accident while playing just dance.️:heart:️ — Wish You Luck (@WishYaLuckk) October 12, 2019 In a series of follow up tweets, WishYouLuckk blasted Twitch for ostensibly ‘caring about mental health’, but offering little protection to streamers who are trolled and insulted on stream. He argued that while viewers face little punishment for posting racist remarks, except being banned from the streamer’s chat, the streamer is punished more harshly for defending themselves. our lives is simply a “”part of the job””. “”Ban them and move on””. But the moment we defend ourselves, Twitch comes running in with a ban hammer for the broadcaster who makes them money and not the viewer who provides nothing. Weird company. — Wish You Luck (@WishYaLuckk) October 12, 2019 The streamer’s followers sympathized with him, arguing the suspension was “soft”. Twitch’s guidelines on the issue state: “Do not invade the privacy of others. It is prohibited to share content that may reveal private personal information about individuals, or their private property, without permission. This includes but is not limited to: Sharing personally identifiable information (such as real name, location, or ID) – Sharing restricted or protected social profiles or any information from those profiles – Sharing content that violates another’s reasonable expectation of privacy, for example streaming from a private space, without permission – Dexerto has reached out to WishYouLuckk for comment. Twitch does not comment on community guidelines violations to respect the privacy of users.

Viral raving streamer blows up on Twitch after insane pyro clip Twitch: CrossmauzTwitch streamer crossmauz, who you may have seen raving in a viral clip, has been blowing up on the streaming site after his entertaining exploits took over social media. Over the last few years, streamers have been one-upping each other when it comes to the production side of their broadcasts. Stars like DrDisrespect, TheSushiDragon, and Rickyexp have left fans stunned with their brilliant skits and gadgets. In mid-April, young streamer crossmauz captured the attention of the internet when a clip went viral of him ‘raving’ after getting kills in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Clips of him shooting off fire and giving his bedroom a fully-fledged festival atmosphere attracted over 20 million views and thousands of comments with people being, literally, blown away by what they’d seen. https://twitter.com/kittyzandpichu/status/1513530980744716290 The 15-year-old, who hails from Germany, hasn’t streamed on Twitch since March 25, but there is increased attention around his channels thanks to the viral clips. The last VOD on his channel has racked up over 320,000 views and that number only continues to grow as people flock to see if he’s gone live. On top of that, crossmauz has attracted over 100,000 new followers as well, who want to see him stream again. Before the clips hit Twitter, his channel had just a touch over 38,000 followers but that has skyrocketed to over 146,000 as per SocialBlade stats. While the streamer does hold Twitter and Instagram accounts, he hasn’t commented his newfound success, and it appears as if his streams will be on a completely random schedule. With the attention of the internet on him, the streamer will likely have a massive audience whenever he goes live next time. So, who knows what extra party pieces he might bring to the table.

Streamer under fire after threatening viewers with bans if they don’t subscribe – Dexerto
Streamer under fire after threatening viewers with bans if they don’t subscribe Gross Gore, Twitter / KnowYourMemeAs livestreaming platforms like Twitch grow ever more popular, viewers are given increasingly advanced ways to support their favorite streamers – but some broadcasters require more than a mere follow. Twitch allows fans to show their support through follows, cheers, bits, and subscription tiers, with Twitch Prime allowing Amazon Prime subscribers one free subscription per month for Affiliated channels. However, regular subscriptions come at a price, depending on the tier, with many fans opting to merely follow their favorite streamers to save on cash – but one streamer requires more from his fanbase. Controversial streamer Gross Gore announced an unusual plan to his fans in his Discord channel in early July, claiming that he would give his followers one month to subscribe to his channel before ultimately hitting them with the ban hammer. “Once I can start streaming again, I’m giving my followers one month to subscribe or I’m banning them,” a screenshot from his Discord channel shows. “Moobot has got me a bot that will do it automatically. I don’t want toxic people following me or getting gifted subs and typing in chat.” While it seems like Gross Gore is going forward with his plan as a means to weed out the riffraff, commenters across the web aren’t buying his story, with some arguing that he is trying to “strongarm his viewer base into subbing.” “How to commit career suicide,” one user wrote of the debacle. “…We all know he is just destroying his own ‘career,’ if you still call it that, with the amount of viewers he is getting,” another said. “Just let him do this and he’ll find out what he is doing lol. Giving him two months, max.” Gross Gore is known as a controversial figure across sites like Reddit and Twitch, after being accused of multiple counts of sexual harassment at RuneFest 2018. Regarding an altercation that occurred between me and Gross Gore on Saturday evening. I’ve written a statement as there are false rumours circulating. pic.twitter.com/nl0GOpbp4B — Elliot (@Skiddler) October 8, 2018 The streamer likewise went on a paranoid tirade in late April, after internet trolls faked a racist SnapChat from Gross Gore, causing him to upload multiple videos to Twitter where he claimed that he was being “hexed.” I’ve got a serious urgent problem… pic.twitter.com/yUDTyONwXx — Gross Gore (@GrossieGore) April 28, 2019 Considering his history of scandal, this latest debacle comes as no surprise to those who have been keeping up with the streamer, who continues to argue that his plan to ban viewers will help weed out unsavory viewers from his chat.

Streamer vows to make girlfriend “suffer” during WoW Classic broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer vows to make girlfriend “suffer” during WoW Classic broadcast Freepik / Blizzard EntertainmentDuring a Twitch streamer’s WoW Classic broadcast, a fight erupted on camera between him and his girlfriend, and things quickly took a turn after he threatened to make her “suffer”. WoW Classic has become an obsession for millions of gamers all over again since going live on August 27, with the more dedicated players putting aside their real life responsibilities to explore and grind it out in the popular MMORPG. However, one WoW streamer quickly got a hard dose of reality after he got into an explosive fight with his girlfriend on camera that brought the stream to a standstill as the argument got nastier by the second. An explosive fight on stream While the streamer was in the middle of playing, the door behind him suddenly swung open as his girlfriend came in to give him a piece of her mind. “Out of all the fucking days!” she screamed, standing at the doorway. The female then confronted her boyfriend over what appeared him deciding if her friend could come over to visit. “Out of all the days to try and control who’s keeping me company, it’s not going to be today!” she exclaimed, putting her foot down. Her boyfriend immediately shot back a threat, where he promised his partner would experience “suffering” for the rest of the week. “I’m letting you know, if you bring her over here today, you will suffer beyond imagination!” As the girlfriend tried to push back, he continued his threat. “I’m telling you, bring her over. Undermine me if you want, but you will see the punishment!” While it’s unclear how the fight started, it soon shifted to the girlfriend being upset over having to cook him dinner instead of getting to hang out with her friend. “I am not going to come over here, in the middle of visiting with her, to make your lasagna!” the woman shouted in frustration. When the streamer replied that he would make his own food, she explained she was upset that she has to be all alone while he works and that she feels lonely when watching TV by herself. This caused him to explode in anger, as he shot up out of his chair and shouted “Get out of this fucking room!” The World of Warcraft player then pushed his girlfriend out of the room and slammed the door before muttering to his chat “Fucking idiot! Oh, she’s going to fucking suffer!” WoW Classic has proven to be really popular on Twitch since its release on August 27, with the game’s category boasting a whopping six million followers as of September 15.

Streamer Tubbo wins Mr Beast $100,000 Minecraft gift card challenge – Dexerto
Streamer Tubbo wins Mr Beast $100,000 Minecraft gift card challenge YouTube: MrBeast / Twitch: TubboYouTube star and internet philanthropist Mr Beast has unveiled yet another massive challenge for his fans — but it seems that someone won the competition much earlier than anticipated. On December 28, Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson announced a special challenge for fans of his Minecraft videos, with the grand prize being $100,000 in gift cards. The challenge tasked Minecraft players with finding all the gift cards in the ‘DreamSMP’ server, with their first hint being revealed only after they killed another player. The gift cards in question included thousands of dollars to such businesses as KFC, GameStop, Best Buy, AutoZone, and even the Apple Store. I hid $100,000 worth of gift cards on the DreamSMP! Good luck! pic.twitter.com/pCyOGKKCPT — MrBeast (@MrBeast) December 28, 2020 While Mr Beast announced the challenge in the morning, by that afternoon, someone had apparently already won the entire shebang— a popular Minecraft Twitch streamer known as ‘Tubbo.” Shortly thereafter, the hashtag #CongratsTubbo was trending across Twitter, with fans and onlookers congratulating the streamer for apparently winning the entire contest much earlier than originally predicted. That isn’t the best part, though; screenshots from the broadcaster’s stream also went viral across social media, showing Tubbo throwing up his hands in victory. https://twitter.com/maddiehockmuth/status/1343641473179209728?s=20 A clip of the winning moment is enough to bring a smile to anyone’s face, with Tubbo and his friends shouting in joy after the broadcaster finally discovered the gift cards’ hiding spot. “Yes! I got it!” the streamer shouts, subsequently spamming “WHOOOO” in his chat. https://twitter.com/smptopia/status/1343636530427031557?s=20 It’s worth noting, though, that Mr Beast has yet to confirm Tubbo’s win, although a wealth of tweets (and clips from his VOD) show the streamer coming across a series of chests that contain codes for the gift cards he’d won. However, Karl — another member of Mr Beast’s crew — has congratulated Tubbo via Twitter, leading to an excited response from the streamer in question. This marks a thrilling conclusion to yet another massive challenge from Mr Beast, who is known for such feats as having his friends stand in a circle for 24 hours to win a huge cash prize and even keeping their hand on a million dollars.

Streamer under fire for driving with no hands during Twitch broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer under fire for driving with no hands during Twitch broadcast Twitch streamer “RipRoyce” came under fire over Thanksgiving week after a clip of her texting while driving with no hands on the wheel started to make the rounds online. Driving while streaming is allowed on Twitch, but streamers have to stay safe and ensure they don’t become distracted by things like their chat. Still, the potential to be banned hasn’t stopped some streamers, like Just Chatting streamer RipRoyce, from testing their luck both on the road and with the platform. In the clip, the streamer appears to be driving down the street with both hands on her phone, instead of on the steering wheel. For most of the video, she’s glued to her phone typing away, only looking up a couple of times to make sure she isn’t headed straight into another car. Luckily for her (and everyone on the road around her), the clip ends with her apparently putting her phone down and focusing on driving – for the time being at least. At the time of writing, RipRoyce’s Twitch channel is still online, but VODs of the incident have been deleted. The Twitch community guidelines, as we said before, actually address the act of streaming while driving. Live streams from within vehicles are indeed allowed – but interacting with Twitch chat or being distracted while doing so is labeled as ‘self-destructive behavior.’ “Any activity that may endanger your life or lead to your physical harm is prohibited,” the guidelines read. “This includes dangerous or distracted driving.” A week of Twitch driving fails RipRoyce wasn’t the only Twitch streamer to make some questionable decisions while driving during the last week, but at least she didn’t come into contact with a pedestrian, like in the case of IRL streamer “daniellippens”. As he was driving down a narrow street, a bicyclist came into contact with the streamer’s car off-screen – but luckily, no one was injured. Neither streamer has received disciplinary action from Twitch as far as Dexerto can tell at the time of writing, but both episodes might be good wake-up call for them.

It was only then she realized that someone has made their way into her house without any permission. Once Tricia could see the man it was obvious she was extremely worried and asked the intruder to leave the house: “Who are you? Oh my god, excuse me please leave our house.” Tricia then decided to end her stream until the intruder had been removed from the home and the cops had arrived. Luckily, she didn’t have to do deal with the individual on her own as her roommates stood in between the man and her in their kitchen. Had to end stream. A crazy person broke in to our house and tried to come at me. I am fine. The cops have been called and my roommates are standing in between him and I. Sorry for worrying everyone. In order to access the house, the man had run in as someone else was entering the building and came in via the garage. Although it’s difficult to hear what the man is saying in the video, Tricia revealed in a tweet that he said she was a “princess” and that he’s here to “save” her. The man who broke in was taken away by the cops. He said I’m a princess and he’s here to save me. This was a terrifying experience but we are all safe and just a little freaked out. He apparently ran in with someone coming in through the garage and came straight up stairs. — triciaisabirdy (@triciaisabirdy) February 23, 2021 There’s no doubt that this was a scary experience for everyone that lives in her house. A home is typically the place you feel safest, so having an incident like this occur must have definitely affected them.

Streamer with Tourettes shares emotional reaction to beating one of her triggers – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourettes shares emotional reaction to beating one of her triggers Sweet_Anita, Twitch / FreepikTwitch streamer “Sweet_Anita” is unlike many content creators on the platform, with her gut-busting humor and acute Tourettes syndrome setting her apart from the rest of the crowd. Anita skyrocketed to Twitch fame in late 2018, after clips from her stream went viral across Reddit. Both her hilarious antics and her openness about her condition quickly rendered the streamer a favorite among Twitch regulars: but, despite being a star, internet fame isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. 600In fact, one of Anita’s tics would often get triggered by her own Twitch chat during live broadcasts – a tic that she claimed would cause her to throat to bleed from being activated so often. A quick look through the streamer’s clips show humorous moments where her tics crop up with near-perfect comedic timing – but one tic, triggered by the word “banana,” wasn’t as funny as it was destructive – until now. Anita gave fans a hopeful update with the tic in a Tweet on September 3, where she announced that she was finally “free” from it, cheerfully laughing as she repeated the word “banana” without being set off. “I don’t know what happened – ‘banana!’” she laughed. “Yeah, so at least it’s not been a bad day entirely. ‘Cause Twitch chat can’t hurt me anymore.” THE TRIGGER IS GONE! Despite having a rough go of it, Anita’s success with her debilitating tic marks a positive turn for the streamer in the face of her current struggles – a success that her fanbase is happy to celebrate alongside her.

Streamer TrainwrecksTV nearly fights driver after road rage almost causes crash – Dexerto
Streamer TrainwrecksTV nearly fights driver after road rage almost causes crash Twitch streamer ‘TrainwrecksTV‘ gets into a heated back and forth with aggressive driver during an IRL stream. TrainwrecksTV is known for not shying away from confrontation, as he is often seen debating current topics with other streamers and appears on numerous podcasts, including his own, the “Scuffed Podcast.” On his way home from an IRL Stream at Topgolf with his friends, Trainwrecks found himself being harassed by a passing truck, but it was unclear what caused the truck driver to be so upset. The truck driver then slowed down to match the pace of Trainwrecks’ car so that the passenger could roll down his window, giving Trainwrecks the middle finger, clearly blaming him for the incident which occurred on the road. Trainwrecks didn’t take the aggressive driver’s actions lightly, as he responded to the truck driver, saying, “Real badass […] get the fuck out of here!“ before catching back up to the driver and mocking him some more “you’re so tough bro, yeah that’s super tough.” After a bit of back and forth, the driver began to escalate the situation while responding to Trainwrecks, seemingly yelling and gesturing for him to pull in up ahead so that the two of them could fight on the street, saying, “Me and you, come on show me!” Before Trainwreckstv had a chance to respond to the offer, the truck driver began to pull off ahead of the car, shouting a homophobic slur, leaving Trainwrecks speechless for a moment. Trainwrecks later explained to his viewers that the truck driver was not paying attention to the road and was too close to his car when Trainwrecks slowed to merge lanes, apparently causing the truck driver to swerve to avoid rear ending Trainwrecks car. He also stated that had he not been live on Twitch, he might have reacted differently to the altercation, but didn’t want to break any rules on the platform.

Streamer who told boy to put hands in mixer banned from Twitch 1grass, TwitchThanks to the ever-growing popularity of live streaming sites like Twitch, netizens are met with a near-constant flood of hilarious, unexpected, and sometimes downright shocking content – all of which happens in real time. One such shocking moment occurred when a viewer encouraged 14-year-old streamer Gavin “1grass” McFarlen to stick his hand in a moving mixer – a request that he happily acquiesced. As you can imagine, this particular venture didn’t end without injury, with McFarlen quickly removing his hand after getting nicked by the mixer’s moving parts. found a 2 viewer stream on twitch with some 14 yr old cooking and i told him to help mix with his hands pic.twitter.com/mopCytd8uA — Xtinct (@XtinctOW) August 12, 2019 “Found a 2 viewer stream on Twitch with some 14-year-old cooking and I told him to help mix with his hands,” the viewer, going by the name “XtninctOW,” Tweeted. While the incident ended without major injury and resulted in a major upswing in subscribers for McFarlen, it’s never a good idea to engage in dangerous behavior for views – no matter what the chat might say. 600Xtinct has yet to speak out on their ban at the time of writing.

Streamer with Tourette’s hits back at critics asking her to get an exorcism – Dexerto
Streamer with Tourette’s hits back at critics asking her to get an exorcism Sweet_Anita, Twitch / BreadHere, Stewards BlogPopular Twitch streamer Sweet_Anita is known for the hilarious antics that arise from her acute Tourette’s Syndrome – but some viewers aren’t a fan of her condition. According to Anita, some critics of her stream theorize that she is demon possessed, and ask her to undergo exorcisms to relieve her of her Tourette’s symptoms. Anita discussed the issue during a broadcast on March 9, where she firmly explained that she would not be undertaking such a procedure, whatsoever. “I’ve had a few people come in the stream and say that they think I’m possessed and that modern medicine won’t fix me, and therefore I should have an exorcism,” she explained. “But I’m gonna say this as many times as it needs to be said – I’m not gonna be alone in a room with a priest, ever, voluntarily,” she continued. “I know what they get up to. That is not a wise decision.” While Anita is now a partnered streamer on Twitch, she expressed some concern in the past over her status with the platform, fearing that her condition might break the site’s terms of service. Anita rose to fame in early October of 2018, after clips from her broadcasts went viral across the site. Now, Anita has a dedicated and positive audience – even though some critics still manage to work their way into the chat.

Streamer threatens Twitch with legal action after “entire payout” stolen – Dexerto
Streamer threatens Twitch with legal action after “entire payout” stolen TwitchTragedy has fallen upon a streamer as they claim their account information was changed, resulting in someone stealing their payout. Worst of all, Twitch is now refusing to pay them. ‘Killadelphia’ is a content creator who primarily streams Call of Duty on Twitch, boasting a following of over 9,000 on the platform. The streamer has been critical of Twitch recently, however, due to issues involving his payout after he claims his account was hacked and his payout information changed. Now, he’s threatening legal action on Twitter over the matter. Twitch streamer claims “entire payout” was stolen On October 15, Killadelphia first tweeted about issues surrounding his Twitch account, claiming that someone had logged in and changed his payout information. I just don’t understand at this point I have 2 step verification setup on my @twitch account someone logged into my Twitch account and changed all of my payout information I went on there to see why I haven’t gotten paid yet and here I see an email that doesn’t belong to me 😵💫 — Killadelphia (@KilladeIphia) October 15, 2021 Since then, the streamer has tweeted several times, tagging the streaming platform in an attempt to get clarity on the issue. After eventually reaching out to and getting an answer from Twitch Support, Killadelphia was less than pleased with the response, screenshotting the email and again tagging the platform. This culminated into a final tweet where he claims that he is considering legal action against Twitch over the payout debacle. I work hard asf so I don’t have to ask anyone for anything at this point I might have to get lawyered up since you won’t reply https://t.co/2OXLS9kv65 — Killadelphia (@KilladeIphia) October 15, 2021 Others in the replies shared much of Killadelphia’s frustration with Twitch, some even expressing that they had the same issues getting paid. exact same thing happened to me and i got the same response! now unable to pay rent or pay for my gramps funeral, utterly heartbroken — Sophie♥ (@xSophieSophie) October 15, 2021 This problem seems to be somehow linked to streamer’s PayPal accounts that are linked to Twitch. However, it is unclear exactly how hackers are able to get past 2-step verification to make these changes. This issue, along with Twitch’s recent earnings leak, combine to create a tough situation for the Amazon-owned streaming platform. Killadelphia was asked to comment on the situation, but as of the time of this article’s publication has yet to respond to the request. We will continue to provide updates on this particular story, as well as any updates if this issue were to become widespread.

Streamer TinaKitten announces break from Twitch after breakup with Jummy – Dexerto
Streamer TinaKitten announces break from Twitch after breakup with Jummy Twitter: @jummychu2Popular Twitch streamer ‘TinaKitten’ surprised her fanbase by announcing an unexpected hiatus from broadcasting — and many viewers are linking this sudden break to her recent split from now ex-boyfriend Jummy. TinaKitten is a fairly popular face on Twitch, boasting over 460,000 followers on the livestreaming platform for her hilarious Among Us broadcasts with other content creators and additional gaming streams. Up until recently, TinaKitten was dating fellow streamer Jummy, who is often associated with popular streaming group OfflineTV, as he is LilyPichu’s personal assistant. However, on March 3, this all changed, as Jummy revealed in a somber series of tweets that he and TinaKitten had unfortunately parted ways. i turned off all notifications after this tweet but to clear up any confusion please don’t bad mouth tina, the amount of work and effort she put into our relationship is something I’ll always be grateful for, but sometimes things just don’t work out — jummy (@jummychu2) March 3, 2021 Knowing that high-profile breakups in the streaming world can get quite volatile, Jimmy also urged his followers not to harass TinaKitten over their split, and expressed gratitude for their time together. “There’s no easy way of saying this, so I’ll keep it simple,” he wrote. “Single btw.” “I turned off all notifications after this tweet but to clear up any confusion: please don’t bad mouth tina, the amount of work and effort she put into our relationship is something I’ll always be grateful for, but sometimes things just don’t work out.” Around the same time as Jummy’s tweet was published, TinaKitten took to social media to announce that she would be taking a week-long hiatus from streaming, which many fans are attributing to her breakup (although she didn’t say as much). Think I’m gonna take a break from streaming for a bit, will be back at it in about a week 😀 Take care!! ❤— tina 😀 (@TinaKitten) March 3, 2021 Although neither party has yet to give a specific reason for their split — and they certainly don’t have to — fans are coming out of the woodwork with words of comfort for both personalities, although some are worried about the future dynamic of their current friend group, considering how awkward tensions can be between heartbroken couples. In fact, some fans of Jummy have even accused Tina of “clout-chasing” — although Tina herself has attributed her success to him in the past, stating in a February livestream that “a lot of you wouldn’t even know I existed without Jummy.” “He’s a really great guy,” she said of their relationship. “He’s always seen stuff in me that I couldn’t see. He always saw potential in me, even though I didn’t see it in myself.” For now, it looks like fans will have to wait a little while before TinaKitten returns to Twitch as she and Jummy recover from their recent breakup.

Streamer Susu annoyed as Twitch bans toes emote even after “censoring” it – Dexerto
Streamer Susu annoyed as Twitch bans toes emote even after “censoring” it Twitter/Susu_jpgPopular streamer Susu wasn’t happy that Twitch removed her toe-sucking emote twice, even after she decided to “censor” it in an attempt to comply with the platform’s emote rules. Twitch emotes have proven to be a hot topic in the community, with certain examples being pulled from the site for seemingly bizarre reasons. Whether it’s Winnie the Pooh in a hot tub or a dragon’s behind mocking The Simpsons’ “sexy Flanders” meme, Twitch has upset several streamers by banning their emotes. Now, the Amazon-owned site has banned Susu’s toe-sucking emote, on the basis that it contains “sexual content.” https://twitter.com/Susu_jpg/status/1423107322105106432 The emote is simple enough – it features a cartoon version of what appears to be Susu herself with someone’s toes in her mouth. Interestingly, this was the “censored” version of the emote as the original had previously been banned for containing saliva. Twitch states that “gasm-style emotes” that contain “bodily fluids” are not allowed. While the removal of the saliva worked for a bit, the platform once again banned it. “Got rid of the ‘fluids’ and was fine for a while but today Twitch has chosen to forsake me yet again,” Susu announced on August 4. “I will not rest until they accept my love of toes!” In the past, Susu has taken aim at men who take their passion for feet and toes to the extreme. “You guys are making all the rest of us foot people look terrible!” she exclaimed in an explosive rant earlier in 2021. “There are respectable foot fiends out there.” Sadly, it’s unclear what more Susu can do to get her emote allowed again aside from straight-up blurring it. Hopefully, some sort of solution can be reached, but it seems she’s fresh out of ideas for the time being.

Streamer stunned as Twitch bans “sexual” emote – Dexerto
Streamer stunned as Twitch bans “sexual” emote Twitch, Twitter: BazzaGazzaBazzaGazza, a Twitch streamer who predominantly broadcasts his adventures in Grand Theft Auto Roleplay (GTA RP), was left stunned after Twitch removed an emote for containing “sexual content”. On December 30, 2022 BazzaGazza revealed to his audience during a live stream that his emote “bazzShake” has been removed from Twitch. The emote in question features a yellow kangaroo with a red scarf, which is BazzaGazza’s mascot, wiggling his tail or twerking. The lack of communication from Twitch up to the moment of banning said emote angered Bazza and went on to spark a heated debate about rules enforcement on Twitch. This is on the back of other decisions made by Twitch and their staff, such as the banning of Jinnytty’s “yyjTasty” emote for the same reason of featuring “sexual content.” BazzaGazza’s “bazzShake” emote removed from Twitch Bazza was very vocal about the removal of his emote. Pointing out that the official “Kreygasm” emote, which is meant to mimic an orgasm in both the name and the emote content itself, is allowed. He contrasted that to milder emotes of cartoon characters twerking, which have been deemed “too sexual” for Twitch. Twitch is seemingly clamping down on any emotes that feature twerking. In the last year there have been multiple banning incidents targeting emotes that involve the provocative dance move. Another victim of the ban wave was BigSyn, who was outraged that his emote was not allowed on Twitch while the platform hosts an entire hot tub section. Kara Corvus also lost her twerking emote in July 2021, with other content creators sharing news that their emotes have also been purged. Neither Twitch nor any of its representatives or staff have commented on the situation. Since this has seemingly been a situation developing for a couple of years now, we are unlikely to receive an official explanation.

Streamer SuppyColleen hits out at Twitch for rejecting appeal of indefinite ban – Dexerto
Streamer SuppyColleen hits out at Twitch for rejecting appeal of indefinite ban Instagram: supcolleen / TwitchTwitch streamer ‘SuppyColleen’ has criticized the streaming platform for rejecting her appeal of an indefinite suspension, which she claims was because of someone else flashing on her broadcast. Twitch constantly faces scrutiny over the moderation, with content creators often left unclear on the exact cause of their suspension or how they can avoid it in future. In the midst of the streaming platform’s on-going ‘hot tub’ meta, more questions have been raised about the transparency and consistency of bans. In another case of this pushback, Twitch streamer SuppyColleen blasted the platform after rejecting an appeal of the indefinite ban placed on her channel for displaying inappropriate content — a ban that she says was handed out unfairly. like seriously i re appealed 4 weeks ago, had to send a follow up email and they sent me an automated response. why r they so pressed ab what happened that people flashed, caitlin can still stream and do whatever she wants twitch is so unfair 🙄🙄 pic.twitter.com/vOqJuLfL8a — colleen (@SuppyColleen) May 5, 2021 “Why are they so pressed about what happened? Twitch is so unfair,” the streamer lamented in a post on Twitter, where she shared a screenshot of the email she received from Twitch in response to her appeal. After being banned in early 2021 – her third ban since December 29 – the streamer sent an appeal to Twitch, trying to get her account restored and the suspension lifted. It’s likely because it was a third community guideline violation that an indefinite ban was given. However, after sending her appeal, the streamer received no response from the platform. She followed up again, and did hear back from them on the second occasion, but only in the form of a straightforward message stating that her ban was to be upheld. “Caitlin can still stream and do whatever she wants,” Colleen continued, referring to her streaming partner ‘SuppyCaitlin’. While Caitlin also could have been banned for displaying the inappropriate content in question, she never was — and in Colleen’s opinion, this is another example of a lack of consistency from Twitch. In light of Twitch’s growing ‘hot tub’ meta, many on Twitter were quick to accuse Colleen of being banned for streaming that brand of content. However, she was quick to shut down these rumors. i never did a hot tub stream i got banned for other people flashing while we were doing interviews so ya stfu thx — colleen (@SuppyColleen) May 5, 2021 “I never did a hot tub stream, I got banned for other people flashing [showing inappropriate content] while [Caitlin and I] were doing interviews,” she reiterated, explaining how she had been banned because of someone else’s actions on her channel, not for doing a hot tub stream. Colleen’s streaming duo, Caitlin, remains an active channel on Twitch at the time of writing. It remains to be seen whether or not Twitch will reverse Colleen’s ban at some point in the future, but the situation is yet another case of a streamer feeling they’ve been banned unfairly without any explanation.

Streamer stunned after drunk roommate destroys setup in a fit of rage – Dexerto
Streamer stunned after drunk roommate destroys setup in a fit of rage True_Schu, Twitch / Freepik.comTwitch streamer ‘True_Schu’ became embroiled in an unexpected altercation with his drunk roommate, who barged into his room during a February broadcast in a sudden fit of anger. True_Schu is a regular streamer on Twitch, boasting a dedicated audience of over 13k followers, and is even partnered with competitive gaming organization Noble Esports. While most of his broadcasts are filled with funny hijinks and epic gaming moments, a stream on February 28 erupted into chaos after his roommate took issue with something he’d purportedly said. While the full video of True’s broadcast has been deleted, clips from the altercation show his roommate barging into view of the camera, clearly inebriated and angered that he’d allegedly been called a “r****d.” “What the f**k did you say to me?” his roommate challenged. “Did you call me a r****d again? You just called me a f**king r****d!” That wasn’t the end of his tirade: the roommate went on to grab the True’s webcam, as though angered the incident was taking place in front of an audience — something that the streamer also hoped to mitigate. “Stop,” True pleaded. “Stop messing with my stream. We’ll talk about it in the morning! …we can talk about this tomorrow!” “No!” the housemate replied. “If you’re gonna call me a r****d, you’re gonna have problems with me.” These “problems” continued to escalate until the roommate, going by the name “Bones,” tore down both True’s webcam and his monitor, leaving the screen dark as his mic captured their ensuing argument. “Bones, this is a problem, dude,” the streamer explained. “This is huge.” “I don’t give a f**k, man!” Bones retorted. A later clip shows the streamer’s housemate appearing to threaten him, getting right up in his face as though to intimidate him. “Never f**king say my name ever again, you hear me?” he commanded. While True laughingly brushed off the altercation and returned to his stream, his fanbase has raised ample concerns for the situation in what many believe to be a good enough reason to give Bones the boot from his home.

Streamer starts broadcasting moments after her wisdom teeth operation – Dexerto
Streamer starts broadcasting moments after her wisdom teeth operation LEXnJOC/TwitchA Twitch streamer decided to start broadcasting just after she had her wisdom teeth removed and was so confused she didn’t even remember starting the stream. Lexi Hargis, one half of the duo that runs the Twitch channel LEXnJOC, went in to have her wisdom teeth taken care of on February 3 and decided to catch up with viewers on stream almost immediately after the surgery. The painkillers and anesthetics used for some wisdom teeth operations can leave people confused and completely out of it, which appears to be exactly what happened to Lexi. “When did I turn on the stream?” She began streaming on Twitch as soon as she got back into the car with her mom after the surgery and it was quickly clear that she wasn’t 100% there. About 20 minutes into the post-op stream, Lexi said she had no idea how any of it had happened, like how she’d even gotten into her mom’s car or started streaming. “Mom, I don’t remember coming down here and getting in the car, you helped me in the car,” Lexi informed her mother, who had a different version of events. “So when did I turn on the stream?” For whatever reason, Lexi didn’t believe what she was hearing and acted like there was some kind of larger conspiracy afoot instead. “I think there’s a lie in this, somewhere,” she informed her very receptive mom, before losing her train of thought once again. To her credit, the streamer was a trooper and was live for a full hour and a half following the operation, even though the drugs still seemed to be having an effect by the time she signed off. It can take up to a week or more to fully recover from wisdom tooth surgery, but considering that Lexi was already streaming immediately after the procedure, that wait period might not get in the way of her streaming schedule.

Streamer spooked after seeing “ghost” during broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer spooked after seeing “ghost” during broadcast YouTube: JayRobA streamer was left totally spooked after seemingly capturing a ghost sighting during a live broadcast with friends. Live streaming has become one of the most prominent forms of entertainment on the net — and occasionally, these streams can capture some wild moments that happen in real time. From broadcasters getting attacked by wild animals to being followed by stalkers and even helping out strangers in need, streams can catch some of the best, worst, and even the most jaw-dropping points of the human condition. However, one streamer seemingly caught a glimpse into the supernatural during a recent broadcast — and the video footage is sending viewers for a loop. Streamer seemingly catches live ghost sighting in viral clip Streamer Chris D was in the middle of a sports podcast with his friends when a dark shadow passed from the right side to the left side of his webcam before going out of frame. Almost immediately, Chris turned around, as though aware that something had passed behind him. “Was that a ghost?” one of his friends asked, who’d also seemingly witnessed the shadow. Chris claims that he felt a chill pass behind him, sparking an animated conversation between the podcast hosts about the creepy moment. Chris’s ghost sighting has convinced his friends that there’s more to the world than meets the eye. In a statement to Dexerto, streamer and podcast host JayRob claimed he “was always skeptical of the idea that the supernatural was real, but after what I witnessed while streaming on my channel, it forever changed my belief.” That’s not all; now the group, who have now dubbed themselves the ‘GhostBrothaz,’ are aiming to stream directly from Chris’s house together in order to see if they can capture any more spooky sightings. Commenters were also left slack-jawed by the incident, with some dubbing the clip “the realest ghost sighting video ever.” This isn’t the first time that netizens have sounded off about ghost sightings; back in December, TikTok users were convinced they were capturing clips of the supernatural after using the app’s AI manga filter, although many critics argued that these “sightings” could merely be the filter acting up.

Streamer song mashup features Sweet_Anita, NymN, xQc, SodaPoppin, more – Dexerto
Streamer song mashup features Sweet_Anita, NymN, xQc, SodaPoppin, more Talented YouTuber ‘Constera’ created an impressive song by mashing together various clips and soundbites from popular streamers Dr Disrespect, Summit1G, Asmongold and a whole lot more. There are many streamers on Twitch and other sites that have a long history of memorable clips which are easily recognizable even among viewers who aren’t readily familiar with them. Those instances either include a hilarious blunder, a moment of rage, or some weird mixture of the two. In either case, these clips are preserved on the internet annals, which Constera peruses and uses to create some of the most inventive song mixes with incredible effects. Streamers remixed His latest video is sure to strike a chord with various audiences seeing as it takes cues from some of the biggest streamers on Twitch. But in creating the song, the artist didn’t ask for a collaborative verse or specially made sample from his guest performers. Instead, he found random sounds from every streamer he features and inventively spliced them together to create a full medley filled with bizarre rifts, funny beat drops and more. “Every sound that you hear in this song is made out of different samples from different steamers’ clips,” Constera said before highlighting an interview featuring Forsen, a Tourette’s tic from Sweet_Anita, Destiny playing the piano and more. The song is both a treat to hear and watch, seeing as the YouTube video also gives viewers a look at where the strange sounds are coming from as they play along with the song. The mashup saw a few streamers shine as others provided the supporting beats. Taking a look at his track from FL Studio, it’s filled with layers upon layers of different repeating sounds that beautifully come together for a harmonious beat. Highlights in the track include Kitboga’s part that launches the song from the initial buildup, NymN’s “Oso poooo po to to” feature, and Dr Disrespect’s part which features a brief appearance from PewDiePie. Since creating his channel in 2010, Constera has amassed about 20k subs. Popular videos on his channel can be found in his “Twitch Streamers Sing” playlist starring various streamers from Mizkif to Greekgodx and more. Even though he’s a master memer, the content creator also a full-fledged EP but also enjoys creating the mashup songs along with his audience on Twitch. It’s definitely worth a listen, and it’s even more fun to watch for viewers unfamiliar with some of the iconic moments in streaming.

Streamer speechless after fan dedicates Animal Crossing room to her – Dexerto
Streamer speechless after fan dedicates Animal Crossing room to her Twitch: Yugwha0901 / NintendoA Twitch streamer was left stunned after a committed fan showed off just how much he loves her broadcasts by creating a ‘shrine’ dedicated to her in their Animal Crossing: New Horizons house. New Horizons released on March 20, and players all over the world have been glued to their Nintendo Switch consoles non-stop, trying to beautify their islands and make a virtual living in the life simulation title. One of the features in the game is being able to take QR codes, turn them into patterns, and download them into your Nook Phone using the Custom Designs app. One Twitch viewer did this with photographs of their favorite streamer ‘yugwha0901,’ and surprised her by showing off a whole room in their Animal Crossing house dedicated to her. Fan creates Animal Crossing streamer shrine After flying to the fan’s island via Dodo Airlines, the streamer took a small tour of their town, stopping off at the museum to see what fish and bugs they’d caught, and marveling at the theme park they’d built. Yugwha then asked to see their house, and followed them to their abode, where she was shocked to find a photograph of her and the viewer on a sign outside the front door. “Hold on, what the heck… That’s me! That’s me and [the viewer]!” she laughed, oblivious as to what was coming. “Why is your house in the beach area?” she asked out loud, to which the fan replied “Ladies like beach houses” via the in-game text chat with a speech bubble popping up over their head. After taking a tour around several rooms in the viewer’s house, the streamer asked them to show her another room. Upon entering, her eyes widened in shock. “What is this room?” she asked, as several photographs of her lined the walls, and candles were laid out on the floor to create a shrine of sorts. “Uhhhhh…” the fan typed, before sitting in a chair facing the wall art and clapping. “Hahaha, hold on, HOLD ON!” Yugwha screamed as she erupted into hysterics for a solid 90 seconds at what was happening in front of her. “Wow! By the way, this is so cool!” the streamer finally said after she’d composed herself, admiring the works of art plastered all over the walls. “There’s my cat, too!” Animal Crossing: New Horizons smashed sales records in Japan, becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title to date in just its opening weekend alone. It’s so popular that apparently even Twitch viewers are using it to find a new way to show their favorite streamers how much they care about them – though, luckily, Yugwha found the funny side of it.

Streamer slams “bullsh*t” permanent Twitch ban for ‘inappropriate body-art’ – Dexerto
Streamer slams “bullsh*t” permanent Twitch ban for ‘inappropriate body-art’ Twitch, Twitter: DelightDaniTVA body painter and streamer, ‘DelightDaniTV,’ has been permanently banned from Twitch despite seemingly following their Terms of Service, causing her to hit out at the platform in a pointed series of social media posts. Twitch is a hive for content of all sorts; from broadcasting video games to sharing sightseeing ventures and even competitive dating shows, the platform stands as one of the most varied live streaming sites out there. However, one of its categories continues to garner controversy throughout the years and that hasn’t appeared to stop after a body painting streamer was hit with a ban despite seeming to follow the platform’s rules. On January 6, streamer and body painter ‘DelightDaniTV’ hit out at Twitch after receiving a permanent suspension for “inappropriate body art,” which included such offenses as “ females not wearing opaque paint over their chest area” and “wearing a paint and latex combination while streaming content unrelated to body art.” https://twitter.com/DelightDaniTV/status/1346897196277489669 DelightDaniTV slams Twitch permaban Dani argued that she was not in violation of any of these rules, showing that she was completely covered with opaque paint in a screenshot taken from her broadcast at the time of the ban. “TWITCH JUST PERMANENTLY BANNED ME FOR DOING BODY ART,” she wrote. “I HAD MY PASTIES COVERED, OPAQUE PAINT, AND WAS FOLLOWING ALL TOS. THIS IS KINDA BULLS**T GUYS.” “According to twitch TOS, using pasties and a layer of latex to cover your nipple and areola and using opaque body paint is within their guidelines, which I followed,” she continued. “If they ain’t cool with body paint, they need to delete the category and not allow it at all.” https://twitter.com/DelightDaniTV/status/1346912308660899845?s=20 Dani then goes on to point out the hypocrisy of the Twitch ban hammer, pointing out that several female streamers have only received a three day ban for exposing themselves on purpose, but then claiming it was an accident. https://twitter.com/DelightDaniTV/status/1347278181443760129 She closes out her rant with a jokey comment, but it’s pretty clear there’s some venom behind her statement: https://twitter.com/DelightDaniTV/status/1347280014493048832 Twitch has banned body painters before This is far from the first time that a body painter has been banned from the site despite appearing to follow Twitch’s guidelines. A number of female body painters have received suspensions from the platform despite painting their chests before the stream even started and only broadcasting the painting in question. It’s been confirmed – My suspension had nothing to do with copyright music. @Twitch @TwitchSupport updated the bodypaint guidelines to give clear rules, then threw in a vague clause which can be used to justify banning any body painter. pic.twitter.com/i4KhJpR3Pp — forkgirl (@ForkgirlCosplay) June 12, 2020 Twitch itself provided a much-needed update to its nudity and body painting policy in April 2020, although some streamers have taken issue with its clauses for being “vague.” Twitch has yet to respond to Dani’s permanent ban at the time of writing.

Streamer slams Twitch for banning “booty” emote while allowing new ASMR meta – Dexerto
Streamer slams Twitch for banning “booty” emote while allowing new ASMR meta Twitter/mushu_laA streamer is calling out Twitch’s hypocrisy for allowing a controversial new ASMR meta while banning an emote featuring a “booty” from her channel. Twitch’s new ASMR and legging streams have taken the platform by storm in recent weeks. In it, female streamers lie in what is considered by many to be sexualized positions while they lick their microphones. Just like with the hot tub meta before it, which ended up resulting in the creation of a new category on the site, streamers are accusing Twitch of double standards for what is and isn’t allowed. On June 17, streamer Mushu called out the site for removing an emote on her channel featuring a monster’s “booty.” A story in 2 parts Like I don’t give a damn what you stream, but HAVE THE SAME RULES FOR EVERYONE pic.twitter.com/jP9edAt9EP— Mushu (@mushu_la) June 17, 2021 Taking to Twitter, she posted an email she received from the Partner Conduct team, explaining how her emote had been reported for breaking the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Alongside the email, she uploaded a photo of Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa showing off her backside while licking a microphone to point out the double standards. “A story in two parts,” she captioned. “Like I don’t give a damn what you stream, but have the same rules for everyone!” I asked support and got auto “fuck off” reply “the reason had to be stated in the email.” 🙂 — Mushu (@mushu_la) June 18, 2021 Additionally, when she reached out to Twitch for more reasons why her emote wasn’t allowed, she was stonewalled. “I asked support and got auto ‘f**k off’ reply ‘the reason had to be stated in the email,’” she explained. It should be noted, however, that Mushu made it clear she wasn’t targeting Amouranth specifically but was using her to prove a point. “It’s not about Amouranth,” she insisted when replying to a fan suggesting everyone mass report her channel. This isn’t the first time that Twitch banning emotes has caused controversy. As Dexerto previously reported, a streamer’s emote of Winnie the Pooh in a hot tub while wearing a bikini was removed by Twitch despite hot tub streams being at their peak popularity. So far, the site has remained quiet on the whole ASMR meta, but given how the hot tub category was created to better cater to advertisers, it will be interesting to see how things develop.

Streamer shows ultimate life hack for eating McDonalds while gaming – Dexerto
Streamer shows ultimate life hack for eating McDonalds while gaming A Twitch streamer has shown off his pretty simple life hack that makes eating while gaming or streaming that much easier. Streamers and pro gamers aren’t always known for their healthy diet, often falling back on fast food to better accommodate their lifestyles and not take them away from the setup for too long. This can often lead to a mess around the workstation or some confusion over the most efficient way to eat their food – but this Twitch streamer has found the perfect way to keep everything together. Using his Mcdonald’s drink, nuggets and fries as an example, Simyakis showed how to put his items together to stay on top of things. “This technique is for pro streamers, new streamers, it doesn’t matter,” he started. “As long as you’re a dedicated streamer like me and you order some McDonalds, you just want the ultimate easy way to do it.” While he’s explaining, Simyakis cleverly places his drink straw through the gap in the nuggets box, filling the other half of the box with his fries. In doing so, he’s made a contraption that requires just one hand to use and be able to access every part of the meal with ease. Showing the new device to the camera, Simyakis says “See? Now you get to play and eat. You don’t have to do anything.” He then took another sip of his drink, calling it “the ultimate way to eat McDonald’s while streaming,” before launching back into his stream of Monster Hunter World. Simyakis didn’t, however, showcase how best to dunk your fries and nuggets while streaming, a seemingly fatal flaw in his otherwise genius system. We might see more streamers adopt this life hack when they see how easy Simyakis makes this look, especially since it is probably adaptable to a number of fast-food places and not just limited to McDonald’s. How much this actually makes a difference to a streamer’s abilities remains to be seen, but if anything, it is still pretty interesting.

Streamer slams Twitch as racist bots target black streamers and mock #TwitchDoBetter – Dexerto
Streamer slams Twitch as racist bots target black streamers and mock #TwitchDoBetter Twitch/CriticalBardA Twitch streamer has exposed the racist abuse he and other black content creators are receiving with bots mocking the #TwitchDoBetter movement in the progress. Streamers began the #TwitchDoBetter trend on social media amid an increase in “hate raids” on the platform. These raids would see an army of racist bot accounts appear in a chat and spam racist language directed at the streamer and their communities. Now, these bots are mocking the movement against them while continuing to fire off racist abuse at content creators. (Content warning: racist language used in video below) It was bound to happen eventually. #TwitchDoBetter pic.twitter.com/mbiN4FtLIb — CB! (@CriticalBard) August 10, 2021 Twitch streamer Omega Jones, also known as Critical Bard, took to Twitter to show exactly what he is experiencing in a video that has since spread like wildfire. “People like to act like hate raids and follow bots that same some horrible ass sh*t don’t exist,” he said. “Allow me to show you example 1. What just happened about twenty minutes ago on my channel.” As you can see in the video, the streamer was just doing his own thing when hundreds of bots appeared in his chat and proceeded to spam slurs along with “#TwitchDoBetter.” There have been a MULTITUDE of suggestions at this point. Fix what’s important and protect the marginalized creators on your platform, @Twitch. This shit is past old. — CB! (@CriticalBard) August 10, 2021 “I honestly don’t need to continue,” Omega Jones added. “Twitch, do f**king better.” The streamer’s mod team was able to deal with the attack. Along with using the Commander Root program, he was able to get rid of most of the bots. “It should not be so easy for sh*t like this to happen. At all,” the streamer blasted. “There have been a MULTITUDE of suggestions at this point. Fix what’s important and protect the marginalized creators on your platform, Twitch. This sh*t is past old.” We’ve seen a lot of conversation about botting, hate raids, and other forms of harassment targeting marginalized creators. You’re asking us to do better, and we know we need to do more to address these issues. That includes an open and ongoing dialogue about creator safety. — Twitch (@Twitch) August 11, 2021 On August 11, Twitch finally addressed the controversy, announcing that it plans on taking steps to make the platform safer with the introduction of enhanced channel-level ban detection. More improvements and tools for streamers are planned to be implemented in 2021.

Streamer shows off insane home cleanup after WoW addiction goes viral – Dexerto
Streamer shows off insane home cleanup after WoW addiction goes viral Twitch: Rukk1Twitch streamer and Classic WoW player ‘rukk1’ shocked viewers by showing off the Hoarders-style mess that had accrued in his home due to a combo of constant in-game grinding and his struggle with depression. While grinding to Wow Classic’s rank 14 is no picnic — requiring hours of continuous fights with other player characters — one Twitch streamer’s struggle to reach the coveted title ended up creating a huge mess in his home. Combined with his struggle with mental health, rukk1’s home had descended into a den fit for the Horde, featuring “mountains” of used pizza boxes, debris littering the floor, and a massive pile of empty 2 liter Coca-Cola bottles beside his streaming setup. After showcasing the shocking mess to his viewers on October 4, rukk1 admitted that the situation had arisen due to his WoW addiction and depression, and apparently decided to cast cleanse on the area right then and there. Just a day later, rukk had wonderful news to report — he made the choice to trade some valuable PvP time to clean his kitchen, and it definitely seems to have paid off, with an immaculately clean room, completely free of coffee stains on the counter and mountains of pizza boxes. Even the stovetop had been scrubbed to sparkling perfection, something the streamer took particular pride in. “Look at the stovetop!” he marveled, showing off the newly-cleaned appliance to his fans. “I haven’t done terribly at cleaning stovetops. I think we did an okay job, man. Do you remember the brown wash that was here? She’s gone, mate!” The streamer then moved the camera to showcase his newly-cleaned sink, dubbing it the “pièce de résistance” — a fitting title, considering its previous state of being covered in old tea bags and other such articles. “You are currently watching a very proud boy, dude,” he continued. “It’s starting to sink in that we are making moves, here. We’re making moves.” Rukk also commented on the situation via Reddit, writing: “Yeah dude, it was a surprising amount of weight off my shoulders. Thought, ‘Ah, this is my life now, whatever,’ but starting to feel like a human again.” While the rest of rukk’s house is still a work in progress, the broadcaster is getting a good start on transforming his living space, and fans are showing him encouragement on all sides as he continues to stream the transformation.

Streamer shocked as Twitch deletes twerk emote while allowing hot tub content – Dexerto
Streamer shocked as Twitch deletes twerk emote while allowing hot tub content Pixabay, TwitchTwitch content creator ‘BigSyn’ called out the site for allowing hot tub streamers on the platform while banning his ‘Twerk Butt’ animated emote. Earlier in the year, Twitch found a new meta exploding on the site — the hot tub meta, where streamers hang out in swimwear in hot tubs or pools and chat with viewers. On September 16, streamer BigSyn called out the platform for removing an animated emote on his channel featuring a (fully clothed) bouncing butt. It’s wild that @Twitch deleted my Twerk Butt emote. But I could literally get in a hot tub in a thong and show my ass to the world and it’d be ok. Twitch, ya’ll literallly WILDN’ OUT pic.twitter.com/mrnJenVO7k — Carl ∞ (@BigSynTV) September 16, 2021 Taking to Twitter, he posted an email from Twitch explaining that the platform reviewed his content and removed the emote from his channel. “It’s wild that twitch deleted my Twerk Butt emote. But I could literally get in a hot tub in a thong and show my a** to the world and it’d be ok,” he exclaimed. “Twitch, ya’ll literally WILDN’ OUT.” Looking at replies to his tweet, it seems as the creator may have a solution to his emote problem. I’ll try that! They took away my instant emote approval haha. — Carl ∞ (@BigSynTV) September 16, 2021 “I think as long as you rename, it wouldn’t be flagged. I have a “booty” emote that’s never had issues,” said Twitter user whyhellostacy. When asked about how long he’s had the emote uploaded, he replied: “Since the day animated emotes came out!”in June of 2021, that means it was live on their servers for several months before they decided to remove it. As Dexerto previously reported, this isn’t the first time someone has called out Twitch for removing an emote despite them ignoring similar content being streamed on the platform.

Streamer shot at and carjacked during Twitch IRL stream – Dexerto
Streamer shot at and carjacked during Twitch IRL stream Unsplash/Twitter: JonnyZetaTVTwitch viewers were left stunned after witnessing IRL broadcaster BeesOnMyHeadTV being shot at and having his car stolen live on stream. When it comes to Twitch, streamers don’t solely have to play games or talk to their viewers like a chat show to have a successful channel. BeesOnMyHeadTV, who has racked up a few thousand subscribers by broadcasting his adventures in his car, is proof of that. However, the streamer was left in a terribly dangerous situation on-stream as he was riding around with friends and showing off his car to others. Viewers can usually see BeesOnMyHeadTV driving his car or playing games on-stream. During his September 14 stream, he had stopped riding around in his car and stopped in a parking lot when he noticed a car approaching in the distance. The streamer got out of his car to investigate, muttering “what the f**k,” as a man jumped out the door. The man who appeared from the random white car began firing shots away from the streamer, prompting him to run and throw his camera to the ground. As the stream turned into an audio-only broadcast, the screams of a woman could be heard before the revving of an engine. As the streamer had apparently not been physically harmed or hit by any of the shots, someone was able to move his camera and end the stream – seemingly assuring viewers of their safety. With him offline, many went back through the VOD to see if they could dig up any details or screenshots of the incident that might help identify anyone involved. However, in doing so, they were able to find a clip from a few moments before the crazy interaction where BeesOnMyHeadTV seemingly drove past the same car and was heckled with a “what the f* are you looking at.” However, fans of the streamer might not get a full answer on what went down for a while as his channel now appears to be suspended – likely for the insane incident that unfolded during the stream. BeesOnMyHeadTV informed everyone that he is ok following the incident in a tweet to his fans. “I’m ok,” he said. “Everyone is ok.” It’s a tough situation to be in but at least it seems like he was able to come out of it alright in the end.

Streamer serenades Pokimane with creative Eminem Stan rap tribute – Dexerto
Streamer serenades Pokimane with creative Eminem Stan rap tribute Instagram: samstrake, pokimanelolA Twitch streamer has recreated Eminem’s iconic Stan song and video, dedicating it to popular Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys in hilarious fashion. Stan is arguably one of the biggest hits of the 21st century, with the Detroit rapper occupying the voice of a superfan who goes off the rails, with both the song and video being incredibly creepy as well as holding on to that Eminem lyrical prowess that he became known for. Now, though, a small Twitch streamer has decided to recreate it, telling Pokimane of his love for her and how much of a fan he is with some witty lyrics that keep it light and funny, a far cry from the original. Shown sitting on his bed and typing on an iPad, SamStrake starts the song with “Dear Poki” before detailing why he’s her biggest fan and the things he does to show support. He starts off saying that he’s “watched over 100,000 hours of her stream” and that she is “the woman of his dreams” before speaking on how beautiful she is, even going so far as to call her his “Moroccan Cinderella.” For the hook, Sam questions why he even logs into Twitch when Poki isn’t online, with lines such as “you go live in six more hours, but god that seems so long,” adding that even if they can’t meet in person, he would “be okay with a picture of her feet.” https://twitter.com/SamStrake/status/1221915399312330757?s=19 The song takes a turn, however, very similar to how the original song, when Sam doesn’t get responses from Pokimane. He says he’s sending his “last DM” and that he’s tired of getting timed out every time he compliments her “olive skin,” calling her a “stuck-up b**ch” and imploring her to go find a “lesser man.” Of course, this is all meant entirely in jest, and Sam likely doesn’t think Pokimane is stuck-up or sits and waits for her livestreams every day. The joke was elevated right at the end when the Sam character got banned from her stream, and he needed someone new to fawn over. Taking a moment to think about his next move, Sam reopens his iPad and starts typing again, this time starting “Dear Amouranth, you don’t know me. I’m your biggest fan,” referencing another popular female streamer to round out the genius parody. Though Pokimane hasn’t yet responded to the post, Sam picked up plenty of feedback, accruing hundreds of retweets and thousands of likes. Naturally, most found it hilarious, and even Amouranth responded to it calling it “amazing,” so he clearly did a good job. Whether Poki even sees it is not yet known, but if she’s as impressed as everyone else who has seen it, SamStrake might be on to a winner.

Streamer shocked after seeing what comes with KFC kids meal in China – Dexerto
Streamer shocked after seeing what comes with KFC kids meal in China Twitch/eloiseChinese Hearthstone player and Twitch streamer Haiyun ‘Eloise’ Tang was disgusted after she discovered what came with a KFC kids meal in China. The streamer was out and about during a nighttime broadcast and headed to a KFC to get some food. In order to place an order, the restaurant required potential customers to scan a code on their phones, select what they want, and pay. “You’re not allowed to get in the restaurant,” she said, explaining that staff would deliver the meal outside for patrons, possibly because of the coronavirus. Looking through the menu, Eloise was impressed at first, seeing they were selling lobster rolls – a very nice dish for anyone who enjoys seafood. “I don’t eat lobster, though. Do you guys eat lobster?” she asked her chat. “Why do I even ask you? This is not a democracy, chat,” she joked, poking fun at her home country. However, the streamer was really surprised when she started checking out the kids’ options. “Kids pack. They give you… books?” she gasped. “Wow. That’s probably the last thing I want to receive as a kid.” Kids meals at fast-food restaurants normally come with some sort of toy, so Eloise was a bit stunned at the decision to include books. “I wonder if there’s actually kids who want to order that,” she laughed hysterically. “Look at this, you can even get four books! You only spend sixty-nine Yuan and you get four books. Poggers.” Sixty-nine Yuan is about ten dollars Americans when converted, something the streamer kept joking about. “That’s four times the fun!” she giggled. Eventually, after a bit of a wait, the streamer had her food delivered and she headed back to her house to eat. It’s quite interesting to see how different fast-food chains handle menu items in certain parts of the world. Hopefully, the streamer can show what the menus for McDonald’s or other big names handle kids’ meals in the future.

Streamer saves confused grandma lost in Japan – Dexerto
Streamer saves confused grandma lost in Japan Twitch/NanpaLiveIRL streamer NanpaLive found himself in quite the predicament late at night in Tokyo when he encountered a grandma who was lost and alone. During the broadcast, the streamer was cruising around Tokyo on a bike when he spotted the elderly woman walking alone looking awfully confused. As he zoomed on past, he heard the woman cry out “help me,” prompting Nanpa to stop his bike and turn around to speak with the late-night wanderer. “Are you alright?” he asked in Japanese, seemingly surprising the woman with how fluent he was. “No, I’m not alright,” she replied. “I’m not having fun. I want to go home.” As it turned out, the woman had no idea where she was, what street she was on or even the neighborhood. She also admitted to being very “confused” but that didn’t stop Nanpa from guiding her to a nearby convenience store. After a short walk with the woman moving at a snail’s pace, the two made their way to a 7-Eleven and asked the clerk to call the police. “Andre, you are so handsome,” she said after learning the streamer’s real name. “Thank you for everything you have done for me.” Even as the streamer left the store and that clerk called the cops, the woman continued to voice kind words towards her savior. “Your Japanese is so good!” she cried out. Perhaps the best part of the video came right after Nanpa left the 7-Eleven and the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas music began to play along with a “Mission passed” screen. “We did one good deed for that day, boys,” he proudly proclaimed. “Hey man, when someone is in trouble you have to help them. That old lady is old as f**k. It’s cold as f**k. She could die out here honestly. She might have Alzheimer’s or some sh*t.” In the end, while the streamer felt that he should have waited, he also had a feeling she’d be fine with the police coming and figured she couldn’t have gotten too far from her home. Regardless, it was a very good deed by the streamer who may have ended up saving the old woman’s life.

Streamer says Twitch gave him DMCA strike for a song he didn’t even play – Dexerto
Streamer says Twitch gave him DMCA strike for a song he didn’t even play Twitch streamer Masayoshi called out the platform on Twitter after receiving a DMCA strike for a song he says he didn’t even play. DMCA strikes are notifications of copyright infringement that are issued when user posts or shares copyrighted content such as music. Twitch users are no strangers to getting these strikes, but typically when the content matches the supposedly copyrighted material. On November 23, the streamer posted that he “got trolled” by what he believed to be a fake DMCA strike email by Twitch. However, as it turned out, the email was genuine. “I’ve received a DMCA Strike for a song I didn’t even play,” Masayoshi tweeted and provided a screenshot of the Twitch message. https://twitter.com/ItzMasayoshi/status/1199373742771769345 The Twitch email linked to a clip of Masayoshi attempting to juggle while traditional circus music plays in the background. According to Twitch, the copyrighted work in question was a song called “Harden” by Lil Uzi Vert, with the copyright claimant being Joseph Wisner from GrayZone, Inc. GrayZone is an anti-piracy company. According to their website, they specialize “in high-tech Internet investigations involving bootleg, counterfeit, and pirated product.” If the link in the email is accurate, then Masayoshi certainly has a reason to feel upset as he doesn’t listen to the song Twitch accused him of playing on stream. https://twitter.com/ItzMasayoshi/status/1199374028730843136 As for the copyrighted song, according to Genius.com, it is an unreleased collaboration between Lil Uzi Vert and Wheezy that was teased in 2017. Eventually, the song was leaked online in May of 2019. It’s unclear why the streamer got a copyright strike for playing circus music, but the situation is undoubtedly bizarre, but hopefully, the situation gets resolved. Dexerto has reached out to Masayoshi for comment. The 22-year-old has been doing fairly well for himself on the platform since joining the site in 2013. In that time, he has amassed over 40,000 followers and normally plays League of Legends. According to TwitchMetrics, his is the 53rd most-watched English League of Legends channel on the platform.

Streamer runs away from stranger threatening to “kill” him for filming in park – Dexerto
Streamer runs away from stranger threatening to “kill” him for filming in park Twitch: ReydemptoTwitch streamer ‘reydempto’ found himself fleeing from an aggressive stranger in a park who threatened to “kill” him for broadcasting in public. IRL (short for ‘in real life’) streams can be some of the most jaw-dropping content the internet has to offer. Rather than streaming content from their PC, IRL streamers broadcast their daily lives for their viewers, often showcasing their travels abroad or interesting activities that can’t be done at home. However, sometimes these streams can capture the occasional scuffle with a stranger out in public. We’ve covered multiple instances of broadcasters getting accosted by strangers who don’t take kindly to being filmed without their express permission. Twitch streamer chased by stranger threatening to “kill” him Twitch streamer reydempto is the latest IRL broadcaster to undergo this treatment. Rey was streaming while walking through a public park in Amsterdam when he was approached by a group of angry strangers who seemed to have an issue with him streaming in the area. At first, Rey argued his point that he was only filming himself when they voiced their displeasure. “If you want to make problems then it will be on you, and not me. I’m just walking here minding my own business,” he said. “It’s very nice you have [the camera] on yourself, but you hear what people are saying,” one person said off-camera. “…Now people are telling you [this], because you want to have this on your vlog or whatever. You wanna have my voice on it, so you have to pay me for that.” Unfortunately, things quickly escalated from there. Another person approached Rey and a heated argument ensued. As the group dissipated, Rey got into a verbal spat with one of the strangers, who started chasing after him after asking if he was filming him. “Get the f*ck away from me, man!” Rey cried out. “Help, somebody! What the f*ck, man?” “Film me again and I kill you!” the man yelled before shouting, “Don’t call the cops.” Luckily, Rey made it out of the situation unscathed. “God damn,” he said after making his escape. “He really tried to grab my camera that time.” That’s not all; Rey also claims that he got the aggressor arrested due to his antics. As previously mentioned, this is far from the first time a stranger has been aggressive with an IRL streamer in public; in 2022, a Twitch streamer was physically assaulted by strangers while attempting to enjoy a meal in Japan.

Streamer Roshtein quickly unbanned on Twitch after suspension mistake – Dexerto
Streamer Roshtein quickly unbanned on Twitch after suspension mistake RoshteinCasino streamer Roshtein was banned during a live stream on Twitch on August 17, but then quickly unbanned as his suspension was apparently a mistake. Twitch announced on August 12 its plans to combat the gambling streams that have become massively popular on the site by banning referral codes and links for slots and roulette. In Twitch’s original announcement, they stated “We will continue to monitor gambling-related content and update our approach as needed. To give you time to remove this content from your channel, enforcement will be delayed until August 17, 2021.” When casino streamer Roshtein was banned on August 17, many thought it was for violations against this new policy, as Roshtein previously had affiliate links on his channel. Roshtein banned then unbanned Sixteen hours after tweeting that he was banned on Twitch, Roshtein gave an update that he was unbanned. He said: “Regarding the ban, it was apparently a mistake – and it’s cool, I needed the sleep. Thank you @TwitchSupport”. Unbanned on Twitch! 💜 I’ve read the Tweets, DMs, Discord; you guys are amazing, one of a kind. This is what makes it worth it, all that love. Love you all! Regarding the ban, it was apparently a mistake – and it’s cool, I needed the sleep. Thank you @TwitchSupport — Roshtein (@ROSHTEINS) August 18, 2021 The streamer is known for playing different casino games on his Twitch streams like slots and roulette, which have been the subject of much controversy on Twitch. Roshtein did not mention what exactly the mistake was as of now. We do not know if the ban was related to the affiliate links that used to appear during his Twitch streams.

Streamer Rubius hit with mystery Twitch ban – Dexerto
Streamer Rubius hit with mystery Twitch ban YouTube: elrubiusOMGSpanish streamer Rubius was just briefly banned on Twitch again, his second ban in the last calendar year. Though now unbanned, there’s no telling what caused this temporary suspension on the platform. Rubius made a name as one of the most popular Spanish-speaking streamers, amassing a huge audience of over 14 million followers on Twitch. Best known for CS:GO play on stream, Rubius has recently dedicated a lot of hours into the recently-released Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Unfortunately, fans of Rubius were temporarily halted from following his adventures in Hyrule as the streamer was hit with a surprise Twitch ban on May 18. Rubius gets hit second Twitch ban Twitter account StreamerBans confirmed that Rubius was banned from Twitch on May 18, 2023 for an unknown reason. Some fans have speculated that the ban may have been related to co-streaming the BLAST Premier CSGO major without authorization, since he was watching the event right before the ban, but that is not confirmed. Just under five hours later, however, and the ban was overturned. Rubius’ Twitch account is once again active with the mega-popular figure now able to stream on the platform. Rubius was previously suspended in November 2022, after a miscommunication with SEGA led to a copyright strike on his channel for playing Sonic Frontiers too early. But that ban only lasted a few hours, as his Twitch account was quickly restored and he returned to streaming later that day.

Streamer reveals how much he was paid for 2-minute sponsorship Twitch / Unsplash: Pepi StojanovskiAn English Twitch streamer has revealed how much he was paid for a short two-minute sponsorship, also known as a bounty, during his Twitch broadcast. Bounties are paid sponsorship opportunities that Twitch partners can take advantage of, with Twitch handling the relationship between both parties and ensuring partners can find sponsorship opportunities to help grow their stream. They’re not something often spoken about by popular streamers, but broadcasters of all levels can take them if they’re a partner, and are a good way of making some added income from the platform when still trying to grow. That said, when Nemz38 was asked by a viewer how much he got paid for the bounty to watch a trailer for the new movie Parasite, he was unsure whether he could – or should – share the figure with his stream. After asking if he could even talk about it, Nemz decided to find a unique way to answer the question without outright saying the number, taking advantage of where he was at in his Dark Souls III stream. Shortly after saying he’s not allowed to say the number, he asks what he should name his character in the game – eventually settling on ‘$200’ which, while not a real name, definitely gives away an answer to the question he was asked. Obviously, his chat found it hilarious, spamming emotes and laughing together in the chat, with some even impressed that he would get paid that much just to show a short video. Nemz currently has just under 50,000 followers on Twitch at the time of writing which, while impressive, is a long-distance from some of the top streamers, so one can only imagine how much they must get paid for their sponsorship deals. On Twitch’s Bounty Board Program information page, it is stated that bounty payment amounts are based on both the brand and “historical viewership metrics,” so streamers with the bigger viewership obviously get paid more.

Streamer gets rejected after trying to ‘make a move’ in Minecraft – Dexerto
Streamer gets rejected after trying to ‘make a move’ in Minecraft Twitch: NymN / HAchubbyPopular Twitch personality ‘NymN’ teamed up with Korean streamer ‘HAchubby‘ to play Minecraft together on August 23 when he discovered the true meaning of rejection. Minecraft has seemingly taken over Twitch, as it continues to surge in popularity. With its renewed interest, more streamers are tackling the sandbox game for their audience. During an August 23 collaboration between NymN and Korean streamer HAchubby, things took a hilarious turn when the Swedish streamer tried to ‘make a move’ on his friend, and it didn’t go well. ‘What if we put our Minecraft’s bed next to each other?’ While exploring, the two began to look for shelter. When the Korean streamer put her bed down, the Swede came up with the idea of putting their two beds side by side, so that they could sleep together. “Hey, uh. What if we put our I dunno, Minecraft bed’s next to each other?” the streamer asked, as he cracked a smile and put his bed down next to hers. Soon after placing the two beds side by side, the Korean streamer gave him a blunt reply that was not what he was hoping for: “What the fuck?” HAchubby’s character then looked down at him before turning to look at the bed to see what he had done. “Oh… uh…” she said. The streamer then hilariously walked over to her bed without saying anything more, and used her pickaxe to destroy it. “WHAT!?” NymN screamed out of rejection. But the whole thing was all in good fun as the Swede said “Fine…” and put a block between them, so she would have a place to sleep privately. HAchubby has made waves on Twitch since she joined the platform a few months ago, and even streams from work to satisfy her newfound audience.

Streamer reportedly arrested for assault after child abuse clip goes viral – Dexerto
Streamer reportedly arrested for assault after child abuse clip goes viral A Twitch streamer under the username “TTV_MajesticUnicorn” sparked outrage across the net after appearing to “bite and throw” her toddler during a December 16 broadcast. Now, she has reportedly been arrested for the offense. According to a December 8 Facebook post from the Calgary Police Service, a woman has been identified and arrested following local law enforcement’s investigation into the disturbing viral video. Their post states that the 31-year-old woman behind the clip has been charged with one count of assault, and is scheduled to appear in court on January 17, 2020. Her children have since been “taken to a safe location.” The Calgary police likewise encouraged those who witness such violence online to report the matters to law enforcement, writing, “In this case, we were able to act swiftly to locate the children to ensure their wellbeing, thanks to those who quickly reported the video.” While Canadian news outlet CTV News has reached out to “MajesticUnicorn” for comment without success, the streamer appeared to address the issue on her now-deactivated Twitter account prior to her arrest. “Someone has too much time on their hands and goes around being rude to people that she doesn’t even know,” the streamer wrote in response to a post identifying her from the clip. A description of the video claimed that MajesticUnicorn was upset with her toddler for interrupting her alleged “8-hour Fortnite session,” with the poster later confirming that the streamer’s Twitch account had been permanently banned with help from a community partnerships officer. https://twitter.com/vure89/status/1206726028753801216?s=20 Unsurprisingly, many viewers were shocked and appalled by the broadcast violence, with many calling for the aid of child protective services, among other organizations. Although Twitch has come under fire as of late for its divisive moderation decisions, the platform took swift action against this serious issue. This was a welcome development for the children involved, who, thanks to the concerns of viewers, are now out of harm’s way. UPDATE: Clips have also surfaced showing the father of MajesticUnicorn’s children (going by the username “Slickgary”) exhibiting similar behavior, with Twitter user “MiltonTPike1” claiming that they have gotten in touch with local authorities concerning the matter. The father’s Twitch channel has also been suspended. https://twitter.com/MiltonTPike1/status/1207381021349433345?s=20 Stay tuned to Dexerto for future updates on this story.

Streamer left in tears as Pokimane donates to fiancee’s cancer treatment – Dexerto
Streamer left in tears as Pokimane donates to fiancee’s cancer treatment Twitch streamer Alec Ludford was brought to tears after an emotional moment when fellow broadcaster Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys donated $500 to help with his fiance’s cancer treatments. For many, streaming on Twitch is an opportunity to show off their gameplay or fun moments, but for IRL streamer Alec and his fiancée Stefany, their recent streams have been focused around the treatment she is receiving after being diagnosed with Leukemia. Since her diagnosis, Stefany has been undergoing chemotherapy and has been in hospital since October 2, as she continues to fight against her disease with the support of her husband Alec and their Twitch community. Alec and Stefany warmed the hearts of many on November 30 when he proposed to his girlfriend in their hospital room, telling her how proud he was of her and telling her that he wants to spend his life with her. “I love you, and this is a sign of my commitment to you,” he said, while Twitch chat celebrated the proposal, with Stefany proudly wearing his great-grandmother’s ring. It seems that this moment caught the attention of one of Twitch’s biggest stars, as Pokimane stopped by their stream on November 4 to offer some money to help cover the costs of Stefany’s treatment. “$500 from Pokimane,” he read from his phone. “Wow, thank you so very much. Thank you for that. You have no idea what that means for both of us, thank you.” Stefany joked: “Now Alec’s going to leave me to go to the casino!” As it stands, Stefany is still undergoing treatment, tweeting on November 26 that her Leukemia is “getting worse,” and the doctors are increasing her medication in an attempt to help her fight back against the terrible disease. Guys please keep me in your prayers. Got some bad news today, in the most simplest terms the Leukemia is getting worse and I have to do another bone marrow biopsy to determine if they should just increase the medication I am on or start more aggressive treatments. So looks like — SkeeterMagavin (@Skeeter_Magavin) November 26, 2019 The couple accepts any donations towards helping Stefany’s treatment through Alec’s Streamlabs donation page, with any money received also put towards taking care of her once she is discharged from hospital, covering her trips to the Cancer Center, and food for her immuno-suppressed diet.

Streamer reacts to finding a Zelda tutorial – after already playing for 95 hours! – Dexerto
Streamer reacts to finding a Zelda tutorial – after already playing for 95 hours! Streamer negaoryx made a hilarious discovery after playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild for 95 hours. After almost beating the game and defeating three of the four Divine Beast bosses, negaoryx found the combat tutorial. The streamer took the new information in stride, but probably would have liked to learn about the backflip about 94 hours earlier. Have you ever sunk 95+ hours into a game before coming back to the starting zone and accidentally stumbling into the tutorial? lol yeah no me neither pic.twitter.com/TSFBNNYE1N — negnog (@negaoryx) December 20, 2018 “Use a side hop to avoid enemy attacks,” said negaoryx as she read the on-screen text. “What’s a side… wait was I supposed to find this at the start of the game?” She had the sudden realization, saying, “Oh my God, this is the tutorial. I’ve done three out of the four Divine Beasts and this is the tutorial.” The streamer then watched in disbelief as the game showed her how to parry, backflip and even charge up her attacks. On the bright side, managing to get that far in the game without knowing any of the advanced combat mechanics is quite the accomplishment! We feel sorry for the fourth Divine Beast, who will surely be easily defeated with an array of parries and backflips. You can watch negaoryx use all of the newly acquired information to finish Zelda over on her Twitch channel.

Streamer receives ‘electrifying’ shout-out for perfect The Rock cosplay – Dexerto
Streamer receives ‘electrifying’ shout-out for perfect The Rock cosplay A Twitch streamer has been left speechless after her cosplay of The Rock was noticed by none other than the ten-time world heavyweight champion and Hollywood’s biggest star himself. The Rock has conquered the entertainment world in ways so few have or will ever do. As well as being “the most electrifying man in sports entertainment”, Dwayne Johnson has been one of the biggest names in Hollywood for years. However, there is one photo of Johnson that has become somewhat iconic, straight from the 90’s with a silver chain, black roll neck, and a fanny pack completing the now-infamous look. So, when streamer Ashley Roboto shared a clip of her wearing an outfit that was almost a carbon copy of The Rock’s from that iconic photo (missing only the fanny pack), she likely thought it was just a fun thing to do for her stream. It’s very unlikely she expected The Rock himself to see and respond to her, but that’s exactly what he did in a tweet sent on November 28, responding directly to her clip. He tweeted: “Like twinning and looking in the mirror, Ash. Santa has your new fanny pack.” Like twinning and looking in the mirror, Ash. ?????? ? Santa has your new fanny pack ?? https://t.co/qWWzOjNbuF— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) November 28, 2019 The Rock was clearly impressed with Ashley’s cosplay, and within half an hour she had responded to him clearly at a loss for words, unable to believe that he had noticed and responded to her work. She tweeted saying: “Hi can someone just pinch me I am sweating profusely and may be crying. It’s cool, it’s fine, it’s all fine.” Hi can someone just pinch me I am sweating profusely and may be crying it’s cool it’s fine it’s all fine ?? https://t.co/twjCtZ7pnU — [? LIVE] Ashley ?✧・ (@AshleyRoboto) November 28, 2019 It’s unlikely Ashley ever could have imagined The Rock would respond to her cosplay, but such is the power of social media. And now we patiently await The Rock’s next career move: an exclusive livestreaming partnership.

Streamer Quin69 disputing Twitch ban for hateful conduct: “I am not a misogynist” YouTube: Quin69/KaceytronStreamer Quin69 is disputing his Twitch ban for hateful conduct after his comments against women caused fury on social media in early January. During a stream on January 5, 2022, Quin69 came under fire after he made comments about women’s clothing choices on stream. In the now-deleted clip, he drew a woman wearing a short skirt and said: “You’re just asking to get sexually assaulted by some deranged person.” His statements went viral, amassing almost 200k views in just two days, causing fury on Twitch and social media. Kaceytron publicly called out the platform on Twitter, criticizing them for not taking action against Quin for his comments. On January 14, Quin made a comment that he is going to dispute his punishment after receiving a 14-day ban for hateful conduct. Quin69 comments on Twitch ban Hours after the New Zealander received a ban from the site, he posted a statement on Twitter alongside a screenshot of his email from Twitch. It reads: “I got banned. To put it bluntly, someone at Twitch basically thinks that I hate women. Obviously, I am disputing the ban as I am not a misogynist, just a cooked clown who can’t always articulate himself very well.” The email screenshot that he provided in the tweet shows that he has been banned for 14 days due to “hateful conduct.” I got banned. In a now-deleted message sent to Twitch support on Twitter, Kaceytron said: “Thinking about how I got banned three weeks for making a coronavirus joke that was ‘threatening’ But knowingly spreading it and saying women are asking to be raped is fine @twitchsupport” Quin69 responded to her comments on stream, stating: “What comes as a common intuition from me, is probably counter-intuitive. And I think I’m wrong, and I think it’s far less of a factor than I was assuming it was.”

Streamer Quin69 hit with third Twitch ban for ‘hateful conduct’ – Dexerto
Streamer Quin69 hit with third Twitch ban for ‘hateful conduct’ YouTube: Quin69: TwitchTwitch streamer Quin69 has been banned from the streaming platform for the third time, and he’ll be gone for two weeks due to ‘hateful conduct’ towards women. Quin69 has enjoyed a great deal of success on Twitch, particularly with his League of Legends playthroughs. The New Zealand-based streamer has gained close to 700,000 followers on the Amazon-owned platform, as of writing. However, he has landed in hot water on numerous occasions in recent weeks and months. Back in January 2022, Quin was landed with a 14-day suspension after making misogynistic comments about women “asking” to be sexually assaulted because of what they wear. Now, the streamer has been suspended yet again from Twitch for ‘hateful conduct’ but he believes it’s been taken out of context. Quin69 hit with third Twitch ban On April 23, Twitter page StreamerBans revealed that Quin69 had been banned from Twitch for the third time since late January, with the streamer even poking fun at the ban. After fans quickly suggested reasons for why he’d copped a ban, Quin opened up a few hours later, showing off the clip that had landed him a two-week suspension where he made comments about wanting to punch a ‘karen’. Though, he argued he’d been taken out of context. “It’s not supposed to be sexist, it’s just supposed to be a meme, but also kind of true,” he said. “I mean, it is what it is. Hopefully, this has kind of cleared it up, I don’t hate women.” https://twitter.com/quinrex/status/1517887375581806592 Some of Quin’s fans joked about the streamer’s various bans with Twitter user Mikupai saying “bro, please can you stop getting banned? I’m trying to have a daily streamer to watch.” bro, please can you stop getting banned? I’m trying to have a daily streamer to watch — Mikupai (@Mikupai_) April 23, 2022 Fans also found the ban ironic given how only a day before the suspension, Quin called out to his fellow content creators and how they manage stream without making “a bunch of people mad?” how does anyone who streams on a regular basis NOT say things that make a bunch of people mad??? — Quin (@quinrex) April 22, 2022 Then again, there are some worries amongst Quin’s fanbase as recently been fairly open about his struggles with his mental health, admitting that League of Legends is partly to blame. Read More: Joe Rogan reveals massive subscriber boost – In a tweet, Quin admitted: “Time after time [LoL] sends me into a pit filled with depression and rage…but for some reason I keep giving it another chance.” His ban isn’t permanent and he’ll be back streaming before long.

Streamer’s boyfriend proposes mid-broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer’s boyfriend proposes mid-broadcast Tana Mongeau, InstagramA man shared a quite romantic and personal moment with his streamer girlfriend, as he proposed in front of her online audience during a live broadcast. His new fiancé, Laura, was playing with streamer RageQueen at the time to play Red Dead Redemption 2 together. Little did she know that her partner, Jake, was going to come into her room and ask for her hand in marriage. Jake goes by Paetriot on Mixer, while his girlfiend Lucy is known as pinkseaassault on the platform. The couple and the viewers on the stream weren’t the only ones there to enjoy this moment, though, as Lucy’s cat was in her arms when he popped the big question. With people watching live on Lucy’s stream, it would have been quite embarrassing if she had said no. Luckily for him, that wasn’t the case. The seemingly loved up pair went back to the streaming camera to celebrate their news and were met by a flood of congratulations messages in the Mixer chat. After the livestream, Jake said: “Well, that was exciting. She said yes. I was a stuttering moron but you know, as long as you’re genuine to somebody and as long as you love them, and you’re sure of it. You know, that all that matters.” It’s probably not everybody’s style – to propose while your girlfriend while she’s streaming Red Dead Redemption – but it was a successful move nevertheless. Will there be a Red Dead inspired wedding? Well, that remains to be seen.

Streamer Proposes to Girlfriend Live With Thousands Watching “With all these people watching, you can’t back out” – Dexerto
Streamer Proposes to Girlfriend Live With Thousands Watching “With all these people watching, you can’t back out” Twitch/bajostreamFor live streamers, allowing viewers a glimpse into your personal life is often necessary, but proposing to your significant other is going farther than most. Twich streamer Steven ‘Bajo’ O’Donnell did just that on a recent broadcast, during an IRL stream getting down on one knee and popping the question to his girlfriend as thousands of viewers watched on. It was an emotional moment, and thankfully one that ended well as his now fiancé accepted his offer, even audibly saying ‘yes’ into the microphone for the stream to hear. What made the moment even better was Bajo’s heartfelt speech leading up to the the question, truly pouring his heart out and taking a major risk with so many onlookers. As his girlfriend stands, no doubt overwhelmed by the moment, Bajo even says “with this many people watching – you can’t back out!”, although he did have a back up plan. “You’ve been the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’m not kidding. I’ve been around the block a few times and I think it’s about time I pulled over. With all these people watching, you can’t back out, mate. Will you marry me? I’ve prepared a scene if you say no, so it’s fine.” Fortunately, she said yes and avoided any embarrassment for Bajo. The clip quickly went viral after being posted to Reddit and Social Media, as fans applaud the bravery it took to pull this off. Thank you for letting us share this mega life moment with you all tonight. It means a LOT to me that we could do this comfortably amongst you all and it not feel weird, but instead a pure, joyous celebration. I just wish I’d remembered to put on the sausage hat. — Bajo (@bajopants) July 10, 2018 Although it isn’t the first time a streamer has proposed on stream, as another couple did the same in January of 2018, that time with over 12,000 viewers watching live.

Streamer reaches top of Jump King and “”gets the girl”” after 18 hours, has priceless reaction – Dexerto
Streamer reaches top of Jump King and “”gets the girl”” after 18 hours, has priceless reaction One Twitch streamer shared their priceless reaction to reaching the end of Jump King, after spending nearly a full day of playing time trying to complete the game. Jump King, from Nexile, has taken Twitch by storm in recent weeks, with a number of top streamers putting significant time into the painstakingly difficult game. It works in a similar way to the once-popular Getting Over It title, another one that exploded on Twitch, in the sense that you’re finding your way up through difficult jumps and falling down causes a reset in progress. Yet, for one streamer, finally completing the game didn’t matter at all when he realized what his reward was. During his June 30 stream, Twitch streamer nilloc06, finally reached the top of the King Jump tower after nearly 30,000 jumps and 3,000 falls. He allowed himself a small moment of celebration, saying: “You see this, 18 and a half hours. You see this shit, 18 and a half boys.” After one viewer told him to walk up to the female character that was waiting for him at the top, ultimately completing the game, nilloc06 had other ideas. He added: “You know what I’m thinking, 18 and a half hours for this stupid bitch? She waited for us to come up? Hell no.” Instead of finishing the game, the streamer immediately jumped off the side of the castle and sat back as he watched his character fall to his demise – seemingly enjoying the fact that all of his hard work was now wasted. While some players may have been stunned to see nilloc06 spurn his chance at success, he clearly gave his viewers a hilariously viral moment. They couldn’t believe what he did, after grinding for so long! Maybe next time he’ll take it that one step further and complete an even harder game like Dark Souls or Sekiro before deciding to call it quits right before the end.

Streamer PayMoneyWubby hits out at Twitch as ban appeal is ignored – Dexerto
Streamer PayMoneyWubby hits out at Twitch as ban appeal is ignored Popular Twitch streamer PayMoneyWubby has hit out at the streaming platform as his appeal goes ignored. IRL [In-Real-Life] streams are a popular trend on Twitch, with many streamers choosing to step away from games and take their broadcasts into the real world. These come with certain risks, however, as the streaming platform has strict rules surrounding user content, especially when it comes to IRL broadcasts. PayMoneyWubby was banned by Twitch on November 15 for allegedly breaking one of those rules by streaming in a restaurant without permission from the owner. However, he claims that he did have permission and has been trying to contact the platform ever since. On November 19 he released a short update on Twitter, slamming the company for ignoring him. “It’s been nearly four days with no reply from Twitch… I was banned wrongfully on a whim and ghosted for half a week” he said. PayMoneyWubby then added a final bit of smack talk, stating: “I love being placed in this awful stress limbo by a platform that claims to support creators.” It’s been nearly four days with zero reply from @twitch regarding my appeal. Banned wrongfully on a whim and ghosted for half a week (and counting). I love being placed in this awful stress limbo by a platform that claims to support creators. — Wubby (@PaymoneyWubby) November 19, 2019 The IRL streamer was clearly disappointed with his ban and Twitch’s lack of response, and he isn’t the only one to be frustrated with the platform. Many streamers have received unfair bans from the platform, only for them to be overturned later. Viperous and TFBlade are two examples of such situations, as they were banned for saying the n-word, only to have their bans overturned days later, when it was revealed they had said something completely different. For many of these broadcasters, a ban impacts their livelihood and ability to generate income, so it is understandable if they are upset with the platform, especially when the suspension is unjustified. Fortunately for PayMoneyWubby, he also runs a successful YouTube channel with over 600,000 subscribers, giving him an option to stream on there instead. As of writing, Twitch have still not responded to the streamer and he still has over a week of his ban to serve. He also hasn’t streamed on another platform during his ban, so he may just be taking a break, or preparing a big comeback.

Streamer PayMoneyWubby slams Twitch over confusing ban – Dexerto
Streamer PayMoneyWubby slams Twitch over confusing ban Popular content creator PayMoneyWubby has been struck down with a Twitch suspension for streaming while inside a restaurant despite apparently having permission to do so. IRL (in-real-life) streaming on Twitch comes with the dangers of being at the mercy of other members of the public. Random passers-by could call something out that’s regarded as a rule violation and then the streamer’s left with the consequences. Yet, sometimes, Twitch can strike down the banhammer for some other reason – leaving the streamer confused by what’s happened. That fate fell on PayMoneyWubby, a popular broadcaster – with near 200,00 followers on Twitch – as well as over 627,000 subscribers on YouTube. Following his IRL stream on November 15, the American streamer revealed that he had been banned by the livestreaming platform. “Not sure the full reasoning yet but something to do with privacy(?),” he tweeted, before noting that he had “full permission from the manager prior to coming.” The streamer also noted that he was “super confused” by what had happened. Just got banned from @twitch while live at a restaurant. Not sure the full reasoning yet but something to do with privacy(?). We had full permission from the manager prior to coming. Will keep posted with updates… Super confused right now… — Wubby (@PaymoneyWubby) November 16, 2019 It didn’t take long for him to follow up, however, with Twitch sending through that all-important suspension email a few hours later. PayMoneyWubby revealed that his channel had been suspended for two weeks before taking aim at Twitch support. “Holy s**t @TwitchSupport, please fact check before pulling the trigger,” he added. The streamer also doubled down on his permission claims by posting in the Livestream Fail subreddit post about his ban. 14 day ban for streaming in a restaurant that we had full manager permission to do so in. Holy shit @TwitchSupport, please fact check before pulling the trigger…. pic.twitter.com/vHHTXyzSje — Wubby (@PaymoneyWubby) November 16, 2019 Plenty of the streamer’s fans tweeted him and urged him to consider moving to Mixer, but considering his huge following on YouTube, following in the footsteps of Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop and streaming on there could be an option instead. As of writing, the streamer’s channel is still suspended so it remains to be seen if Twitch will take his response into account and wipe the ban out, giving him an early return to streaming.

Streamer NymN creates the perfect Dr Disrespect song – Dexerto
Streamer NymN creates the perfect Dr Disrespect song Twitch streamer NymN created a pretty perfect signature tune for Dr Disrespect from scratch by using some of his most iconic on-stream calls and backing tracks. Aside from being able to showcase their high-level gameplay or take part in chats with their fans, Twitch also gives streamers the chance to show off some of their other talents. Some of the most impressive content comes from the music category, where unsurprisingly, streamers can play and curate music. During his January 4 stream, NymN had been showing off his ability to make music using programs and a keyboard when he zeroed in on creating a tune around The Doc. While some fans wanted him to create a meme beat, using other streamers like Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and classic Twitch jokes, it was all centered around the Two-Time back-to-back video game champion. NymN did seem to have things pretty nailed down, recanting stories of how he’s made music in the past, he had to seek some help from a few YouTube tutorials to get things completely Doc-like. He even dug into the Doc’s stream history for a few soundbites. After a few hours of hard work, getting everything right, NymN had a pretty impressive tune on his hands and walked away from his stream as it debuted, in full. In pretty awesome fashion, it kicked off with a speech from The Doc himself, welcoming fans to the now-retired Slick Daddy Club before dropping into the synth-wave tunes have become synonymous with his streams and highlights. The Two-Time’s voice even reappeared before the beat took a twist as well, as Nymn dropped in a classic “Raul” call-out from the leader of the Champions Club. Now, while the two-minute-long tune might fit pretty perfectly in with the Doc and his channel, it might not get a proper airing on his stream as he does have his own set music. That’s not to say that it won’t at all – someone will probably bring it to his attention before long – but it might not be able to secure a spot on his playlists in the immediate future.

YouTuber ONLYUSEmeBLADE under fire after abusing dog on stream – Dexerto
YouTuber ONLYUSEmeBLADE under fire after abusing dog on stream YouTube: Dance OnBrian ‘ONLYUSEmeBLADE’ Risso has come under fire yet again after a clip surfaced from one of his streams, in which he is shown to throw a dog off him, sending it across the room. Who is ‘ONLYUSEmeBLADE’? Risso found fame in early Call of Duty titles, such as the original Modern Warfare, by uploading commentaries of his gameplay. As his name implies, these gameplays were achieved exclusively through melee attacks only. Since then, Risso has become an IRL streamer through YouTube, on which he has over 500,000 subscribers. However, the American has since suffered ongoing difficulties with alcoholism, and was under the influence of during this latest controversial incident. ONLYUSEmeBLADE throws dog while live on stream Risso was doing an IRL stream, when he let a small dog crawl up into his lap. After a few seconds of allowing the dog to lick his face, Risso pushed the dog off him with considerable force, sending the dog sprawling across the room. However, the man sat next to Risso begins to laugh and look shocked, before referring to the incident as “pretty gnarly”. A different voice, from off camera, then reprimanded Risso, telling him that his behaviour was “not fucking cool.” “That’s your fucking dog dude,” the voice went on. “You can’t fucking throw a dog. What are you talking about dude? Don’t fucking do that, that’s not cool.” Warning: some may find the clip distressing. Another clip has since surfaced, showing Risso drinking heavily before hand, and the same dog licking up spilt alcohol off the floor. The landing of the dog is caught in another camera’s shot, and it appears to be unharmed by the event. Risso doesn’t look particularly bothered by the incident, as he remained sat in silence while being admonished by the other person present. The incident adds to an unfortunately long list of controversies surrounding ONLYUSEmeBLADE, as he appears to be a long way from the YouTuber who once entertained audiences through Call of Duty.

Even YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has been the victim of stalkers, having moved several times due to fans finding his home address. “I’ve even had parents coming over with their kids,” Kjellberg said of the issue in a 2016 video. “…Just because you found my address doesn’t mean you found an invitation for you to come over.” While it’s unclear what the drone pilots in NICKMERCS’ case hope to achieve, there’s no denying that flying such machines (which are capable of capturing camera footage) over someone’s house is a major invasion of privacy and a seriously gross offense, no matter how famous someone may be. –

Streamer Novaruu banned on Twitch for a second time – Dexerto
Streamer Novaruu banned on Twitch for a second time Novaruu/TwitchJust Chatting streamer ‘Novaruu’ has been hit with the ban hammer a second time by Twitch, but the cause behind it is not quite clear. Novaruu is a popular personality on Twitch’s ever-growing Just Chatting category, but she’s currently unable to stream after the platform banned her channel on Oct. 19. It’s her second time being banned from the platform, after running afoul of a little-known Twitch rule back in 2019. That suspension only lasted for three days – the same amount of time as her latest one, as well. https://twitter.com/novaruu_/status/1318286719817535488?s=20 “Everyone is asking me why I was banned on Twitch and I really dont know,” Novaruu wrote on Twitter. “Thankfully, it’s only 3 days.” As we mentioned, the Texan streamer has been banned for the same amount of time from Twitch before in December of 2019 – bizarrely enough for “operating a contest or giveaway that violates Twitch Terms of Service,” according to the site, because she raffled off hand-painted birdhouses. “How does raffling off a birdhouse and nudity have the same [ban length]?” She questioned back in 2019 comparing her situation to other streamers – but now, there’s no clear cut reason why she’s locked out. After streaming Phasmophobia and chatting with viewers the night before, her channel disappeared from Twitch on the morning of Oct. 19 with the ban officially announced soon after. While Nova was caught off-guard, her fans seemed confused as well, with many commenting that there didn’t seem to have been anything shown during her recent streams that would land her in hot water with the site. Streaming on Twitch in the Just Chatting category to around 1,000 viewers every day, she’s also a partner, with around 100,000 followers on the platform and 54,000 followers on Twitter. She’ll most likely return to Twitch after her three-day suspension is completed on Oct. 22, or earlier if she appeals and is successful.

Streamer nearly gets into fight after stranger’s partner kisses him – Dexerto
Streamer nearly gets into fight after stranger’s partner kisses him An IRL streamer nearly got into a big fight after being invited into a stranger’s house and his host’s drunk partner tried to seduce him while in the other room. IRL (In-real-life) streams are always a guaranteed place to find some quirky characters and witness odd moments, and it was no different when satirical-rapper-turned-live-streamer Billy the Fridge started the stream up on November 28. After a night drinking at the bar, Billy ended up being invited back to a couple’s house a couple of blocks away, which may have seemed a bit sketchy in itself. However, it’s the action that unfolded when he was back at their house that made things worse. Between appearing unconscious and slurring her words, the woman in the video – believed to be the other man’s wife – found space to ask Billy where he is from before trying to kiss him. Billy didn’t return the affection but said “thank you,” clearly a little unaware of how to handle the situation. Again, she tried kissing him – and really tried, this time – right when her partner walked into the room, and Billy immediately smiled and looked uncomfortable before, understandably, being told he has to “get the f*ck out of my house” by the husband – who quickly got aggressive. When they were out in the hallway, Billy refused to go down the stairs with the man right behind him out of fear of being pushed down. The man was insistent that he leave right now and wasn’t getting out of Billy’s space, eventually punching him at the top of the stairs. Between punches and the commotion that unfolded, Billy’s tripod and speaker were damaged, and you can see the camera struggling to keep up with what was happening in front of it. Eventually, Billy managed to give a firm-enough “back the f*ck up” to his attacker, who allowed him space to get down the stairs without fear of being sucker-punched, telling the man that he has him on camera assaulting him. As Billy walked off and explained the situation to his viewers, the man called out from his house but it was unclear what he was saying. Billy simply said “my dude, have a good night” before going on his way. It’s unclear whether there was any more confrontation, but an hour later Billy the Fridge turned off the stream after arriving home safe and sound. What is clear, though, is that all parties involved will likely be very embarrassed when they see the footage.

Streamer mortified after raging at real pizza guy he thought was a troll – Dexerto
Streamer mortified after raging at real pizza guy he thought was a troll Twitch/Dwight_LOL/FreepikTwitch streamer Dwight_LOL was left humiliated after he started screaming at a pizza delivery driver who he thought was a viewer trying to prank him. During Dwight’s broadcast on March 16, he put his phone number as the title of his stream, asking random viewers to call him as entertainment. While the Runescape streamer was down to talk with his supporters and engage with them, things quickly got a bit out of hand. After a pizza delivery driver showed up at his house, Dwight’s mother told him to go away. The driver then ended up calling the streamer directly, but Dwight believed it was a viewer trying to prank him. “This is a pizza delivery driver. I don’t know if I’m on the right street,” the driver said. “I just knocked on the door, but there’s no one named Anthony.” “Listen, you’re a f**king troll!” Dwight blasted. “My mother just answered the door and told the pizza man to f**k off so listen, you’re not on my street. Shut the f**k up.” Confused, the delivery driver kept his cool despite being berated. “So I’m not in the right area?” “Did you order pizza to my house?!” Dwight cried. Just then, the Runescape player’s sibling could be heard on the other end talking to the driver. “My brother streams video games,” he explained. “I think one of his viewers did it.” While this was going on, Dwight’s face started to grow pale. The streamer’s siblings then suggested that the driver put his house on a list that will only deliver if the pizza is paid for in advance. “I’m sorry for cussing you out, man!” Dwight embarrassedly apologized. “I thought you were prank calling me.” “No, no. I was supposed to deliver a pizza and I don’t know what happened,” the driver sighed. The whole incident was extremely bizarre and probably a good lesson for any streamers or future entertainers: don’t give away your phone number on stream unless you’re willing to deal with the consequences.

Streamer mortified after dog pees on his bed during live broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer mortified after dog pees on his bed during live broadcast Twitch: Breehzee / Unsplash.comA Twitch streamer was left mortified after his dog decided to take a golden shower during his live broadcast – right in the middle of his bed. Animals aren’t smart enough to know when their owner is broadcasting on the internet, so it comes as no surprise that they can ruin a livestream by just being, well, themselves. Twitch streamer ‘Breehzee’ found this fact out the hard way during a Just Chatting broadcast on October 16, after a rather wet situation with his pet dog left him searing with embarrassment. Dog pees on streamer’s bed The 17-year-old was broadcasting on Twitch from his bedroom when he turned around to look at his pet dog, who at first appeared to be tousling the blankets to create a comfortable spot to lay down in. Suddenly, the streamer yelled out “OH, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!” before rushing up out of his seat and throwing his headphones off to grab his pet as it squatted down to unleash yellow hell all over his bedsheets. Unfortunately, it was too late – the damage had already been done. Breehzee lifted the dog up and patted his bed to double check, before he proclaimed “You little sh*t! You little sh*t!” The Scottish streamer wasn’t too mad though, as he exclaimed “You little f*cker!” through stifled laughter as he carried his pet out of the room to presumably clean it up and to avoid any further accidents. According to his Twitch profile, Breehzee is a 17-year-old from Scotland, United Kingdom, and likes to stream first-person shooters and casual games such as Fortnite and Minecraft when he’s not in the Just Chatting section talking to his fans. Read More: Ethan Klein mocks Trisha Paytas – While he doesn’t have a set streaming schedule, the small-time broadcaster promises to stream “every second day” until he can get some planned dates set in the future – good for him.

Streamer mom has perfect response for rude League of Legends troll – Dexerto
Streamer mom has perfect response for rude League of Legends troll Twitter/omgmomplaylol/Riot GamesA mother who loves to stream League of Legends on Twitch didn’t have time for flaming from her teammates. During a February 9 broadcast, the silver 3 ranked mom was playing as the ranged support character Zyra when one of her teammates started complaining that she was out of position. “Stop staying behind me,” the angry user demanded, then purposely censored his swear to avoid the message being filtered. “It’s just melee. And you are ranged. P*ssa.” Yeeeesss – I got promoted to silver 3 yippee 🎈🎈🎉. Wish you all a peaceful Tuesday- take care 👋❤️. pic.twitter.com/puloPWwiNg — omgmomplaylol (@omgmomplaylol) February 11, 2020 Meanwhile, streamer “omgmomplaylol” started laughing at the player’s antics and read the messages aloud to her audience. “And he calls me a pu**y,” she chuckled as some members of the mom’s team rushed to her defense, asking the troll to chill. Hilariously, the streamer had a perfectly mediated response to the rude player. “I will go more aggro,” she said while continuing to laugh, and typed her message out in the chat. “Okay, it’s aggro you wanted, so let’s have the aggro dance then, darling,” she added. “No problem at all. We can do it. We can definitely do it.” The streamer’s chat wondered what the abusive player meant by “p*ssa,” so the mom had to explain what he meant. “I think he means pu**sy and he was writing it like ‘p*ssa’ because it won’t be accepted,” she giggled. Overall, her response provided a a fantastic example of dealing with trolls, and didn’t cause the whole team to fall apart by causing some in-fighting. Omgmomplaylol first started playing League of Legends back in Season 7. According to her Twitch bio, Zyra is her favorite character, and she “never get bored playing this fantastic champ.” It would seem like many on Twitch don’t get bored of watching her play, either, as the mom has over 27,000 followers on the platform — not bad, especially considering she had never played a video game before being introduced to League of Legends.

Streamer mortified after being bitten by monkey during IRL broadcast – Dexerto
Streamer mortified after being bitten by monkey during IRL broadcast mira_twitch, Instagram / Freepik.comTwitch streamer and world traveler “Mira” got into an unexpected altercation with the local wildlife during an excursion in Bali — and she likely has a scar to remember it by. While Twitch is rife with gaming and “Just Chatting” broadcasts, IRL streams have similarly taken the site by storm, with content creators showing off their nights on the town or world travels for their viewers. Streamer “Mira” is one such internet personality: although she’s also known for playing Hearthstone, she has since gone “AFK in Bali,” as told by the title of her recent broadcasts on the platform. Taking her viewers along for the ride, Mira stopped by a forest in the Indonesian Island, which was filled with monkeys. Although travelers are often warned not to interact with the mischievous animals in such sites, Mira couldn’t avoid confrontation after one monkey decided to purloin a receipt out of her pocket. “Oh, no, that’s my receipt!” Mira exclaimed, making an attempt to snatch the paper out of the animal’s hands before it could take off with the item. Before she could retrieve the paper slip, a larger monkey — possibly the mother of the pickpocketing animal — bit the streamer on the hand, leaving a nasty wound in the process. “What the f**k?” Mira said, showing that the monkey’s jaws had taken off quite a bit of skin from her hand. “I was trying to get my receipt!” A later clip from the broadcast shows that the broadcaster sought medical treatment for the wound — a relieving development, considering the potential bacteria that may have been transferred by the wild animal. While it’s unclear exactly what location Mira was visiting, Bali’s Ubud Monkey Forest may have been the area in question, known for being a sanctuary to the Balinese long-tailed Monkey (who are equally well-known for their mischievous behavior and testy temperaments). Although the incident was merely an accident, Mira’s unfortunate injury just goes to show that local wildlife isn’t to be messed with — even if they steal from you.

Streamer Mitch Jones channels his inner xQc with hilarious impression – Dexerto
Streamer Mitch Jones channels his inner xQc with hilarious impression Controversial Twitch streamer Mitch Jones took full advantage of his recent hair-dyeing mishap and performed a comical spot-on impression of Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel during his July 17 broadcast. Mitch Jones recently suffered an awful yet hilarious hair-dyeing fail when he enlisted help from his best friend and housemate Kailey ‘Kbubblez’, which left his now blonde-ish hair lifeless and broken. While the American streamer was understandably angry at first, he was quick to laugh at the situation and took the opportunity to not only mock himself, but fellow streamer xQc along the way. “Dude!” The clip begins with Kbubblez calling Mitch’s hair “orange” – a far sight from the platinum blonde he was originally going for when he started his dyeing process. The streamer went quiet for a few seconds and made it appear as though he was unhappy with her comment, before he put his headset on and launched a hilarious xQc impression. “Dude! Dude! Dude!” he spat in the Canadian streamer’s accent as he flailed his arms in the air. “Dude! Dude! Dude!” He then addressed the housing drama the pair are currently embroiled in, before he got up out of his chair and ‘rage-quit’ out of the room. “Look at this fucking thing, dude! The Pink Sparkles and the… the… fucking DUDE!” Kbubblez found his impression rightfully hilarious as she melted into a puddle of laughter at his spot-on rendition. Mitch was so angry at first While Mitch seemed lighthearted enough about his hair situation afterwards, it wasn’t like that to begin with – he was absolutely fuming. “What is in your hands? Is that MY HAIR? MY HAIR IS IN YOUR HANDS!” he shouted upon realizing the bleach his housemate had applied to his hair caused his locks to weaken and fall out. He then shot up out of his chair and violently flung his headset down in a fit of rage. “”DUDE, KAILEY! KAILEY!” he screamed before running out of the room. Kbubblez found the entire thing hilarious, and later even called him a “child” for being upset about his ruined barnet. At least he could have a good laugh about it afterwards, even if his hair was completely ruined. Hopefully he learned the valuable lesson not to let his housemate touch his hair again in the future.

Streamer Mizkif provides update after checking into mental hospital – Dexerto
Streamer Mizkif provides update after checking into mental hospital Twitter: MizkifPopular Twitch streamer Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo provided a health update to his fans on Twitter on July 24 after he checked into a mental hospital following a panic attack. The 24-year-old has been open about his health before, revealing that he suffers from a heart condition known as viral myocarditis – an illness defined as inflammation of the middle layer of the heart. In a Twitter statement on July 24, Mizkif opened up about his mental health and revealed that he’d checked into a mental hospital – but not before making fun of fellow streamer Alinity Divine’s ongoing cat abuse scandal. Why is Mizkif in hospital? In a surprise tweet, Mizkif admitted that he’d checked into the facility following a high heart rate and a panic attack and had been there a “few days”. “They dont let you have phones here so i gotta make this quick.” he tweeted. “Heart rate was over 150, panic attack, threw my cat. Now ive been stuck in a mental hospital for the past few days.” The streamer then revealed that he’s due to go home on July 25: “I should be out tomorrow. I miss you all so much.” They dont let you have phones here so i gotta make this quick. Heart rate was over 150, panic attack, threw my cat. Close friend and fellow streamer ‘mayahiga’ offered an update as to why she’d been absent from the platform, stating that she’d flown out to Jersey to be by his side. “couldn’t stream this week because I flew out to Jersey to be with Matt. sorry for not being able to update you guys, we’ll both be back soon” she tweeted. couldn’t stream this week because I flew out to Jersey to be with Matt sorry for not being able to update you guys, we’ll both be back soon:two_hearts: https://t.co/n0giWbsJ2M — mayahiga (@mayahiga6) July 24, 2019 Mizkif is a popular face on Twitch and boasts almost 200,000 followers on the platform as of July 24.

Streamer Mitch Jones’ birthday party crashed by “police” in surprise raid – Dexerto
Streamer Mitch Jones’ birthday party crashed by “police” in surprise raid Thanks to the advent of IRL streaming, just about anyone can grab a camera and broadcast their daily lives for all to see, with some streamers showing off their nights on the town and crazy parties – one of which took a surprising turn, thanks to some unexpected “law enforcement.” Popular IRL Twitch streamer Mitch Jones is known for his hilarious broadcasts, capturing some downright ridiculous content as he goes about his daily life – but one of his streams took an absurd turn when his birthday party was crashed by what seemed to be local police. Jones’ housemate and fellow streamer Kailey ‘Kbubblez’ was running the stream during the party when a man dressed as a police officer entered her home brandishing a flashlight, ordering party goers to “get down” as he made his way into the foyer. Kbubblez quickly handed the camera off to another attendee and claimed that she had to go “handle this,” seeming a bit too enthusiastic about the presence of police in her house – but, as it so happens, the “officer” wasn’t really an officer at all. Later footage from the stream shows the “policeman” confronting a blindfolded Mitch Jones in his living room, later giving him a spank after seeming to examine his undercarriage with the flashlight he was holding. Rather than being a legitimate member of local law enforcement, the “officer” in question was actually a male stripper, called to the house to spice up the streamers’ party – which appeared to work, considering the laughter that erupted when the stripper gave Jones a lap dance. Read More: Apex Legends video was shut down by law enforcement shortly after it began. Despite FaZe’s unfortunate end to their amped-up celebration, it looks like Mitch’s run-in with a male stripper made for a great night – and a hilarious VOD. –

Streamer Macaiyla unbanned from Twitch following Twitter fiasco – Dexerto
Streamer Macaiyla unbanned from Twitch following Twitter fiasco macaiyla/instagramTwitch streamer Macaiyla has explained why she has been banned from the platform, after her account was temporarily disabled on September 11. UPDATE – Sept 12 at 11:35 pm PST After getting her ban reduced, Macaiyla’s Twitch Channel is up and running once again. :white_check_mark: Twitch Partner “”Macaiyla”” has been unbanned! :white_check_mark:https://t.co/0zU5d1Eqjs#twitch #unban #partner #twitchpartner :ocean: — Twitch Partner Bans (@TwitchBanned) September 12, 2019 Her channel can be accessed by audiences once again following the unfortunate incident that caused her to be banned. Original story follows… Macaiyla’s Twitch channel has been steadily growing over the past year and the streamer had over 120,000 followers when she received the temporary ban. She is also the girlfriend of popular League of Legends streamer Tyler ‘Tyler1’ Stienkamp, and the pair are often seen streaming together. Why was Macaiyla banned from Twitch? The streamer explained she’d been suspended for three days, after her Twitter timeline betrayed her while she was live, inadvertently violating Twitch’s Community Guidelines. Macaiyla just opened her Twitter, scrolled down a bit and ran into a nude image that popped up on her timeline, with no real way to avoid it appearing on her stream as well. As the streamer explained, there was nothing she could really do about it, and Twitter doesn’t have any way to let you know what’s coming up on the website, saying that it was “extremely random.” I don’t ever browse twitter at random on stream lol. It was extremely random that the one time I go to do something there’s tits. Nothing I could really do. pic.twitter.com/pqqrlTALLl — Kayla (@macawcaw123) September 11, 2019 Twitch bans are usually handed out whenever a streamer violates these Community Guidelines. These suspensions are typically temporary, provided the streamer is not a repeat offender, which Macaiyla is not. Since the initial ban, Macaiyla said the time has been reduced from three days to 24 hours – which she thinks is fair, all things considered. It may not have been intentional, but she did end up violating the rules, which typically doesn’t go ignored by Twitch’s staff. My suspension got reduced to 24 hours. Thanks Twitch. I think that is fair. — Kayla (@macawcaw123) September 11, 2019 A week of NSFW Twitch slip-ups Macaiyla wasn’t the only streamer to run into some unwarranted NSFW content this week. Another streamer, Korean model Addielyn, accidentally went live while changing in her room.

Streamer Mira hits out at Twitch over ban for attire: “Discriminating women’s bodies” – Dexerto
Streamer Mira hits out at Twitch over ban for attire: “Discriminating women’s bodies” MiraTwitch streamer Mira has been banned from the platform for the second time in 2022. This time, she says the ban was because her clothing was too revealing, and that the ban ‘discriminates’ against female bodies. Mira was banned back in March, with the exact ban reason unconfirmed, but she argued it was because she is Russian and so “was born in the wrong country.” This ban in March followed a previous suspension in October 2021 for nudity rules, which Mira criticized as a “double standard.” Banned once again, Mira has again criticized Twitch’s decision, arguing that it “is re-enforcing misogynistic system discriminating women’s bodies.” Mira responds to Twitch ban Following her account being suspended on December 19, Mira did not show the ban notification from Twitch, which is the only way to confirm the exact community guidelines violation. Mira did clarify, though, that it was because her “nipples” were visible through her shirt. This would violate Twitch’s nudity and attire rules, which specifically state: “We do not permit the visible outline of genitals, even when covered” and “For those who present as women, we ask that you cover your nipples.” Mira said: “If men are allowed to have nipples poke through a shirt, then women should be too. If I choose to wear socially appropriate clothing without underwear for comfort, @Twitch staff shouldn’t ban my channel for it.” Twitch’s guidelines do specify that the policy only applies to those who present as women. Twitch does not comment on community guidelines violations to protect the privacy of users. The length of Mira’s ban is unconfirmed. While some can be as short as 24 hours, multiple bans will often lead to longer and longer suspensions, with the most severe being an indefinite ban.

Streamer loses it after spending $2K to get Genshin Impact character – Dexerto
Streamer loses it after spending $2K to get Genshin Impact character miHoYoTwitch streamer Lacari went absolutely ballistic after finally acquiring a rare Genshin Impact character after he spent a whopping $2,000 trying to do so. Lacari’s journey to unlock the five-star character Keqing had him spending dollar after dollar on banner after banner on the Chinese game with no such luck. After his bad luck continued and the streamer had spent over $1,500 trying to get Keqing, his friends began to mock him over chat. “Lacari, do you know the chances of getting a five-star?” one asked while the Twitch star hung his head in disappointment. “It’s 0.6%.” “What a f**king loser,” another remarked after learning the streamer had spent thousands on the banner. Eventually, however, when things were looking their most dim, Lacari turned up to the heavens and begged for his luck to change. “Please!” he cried. “Please!” Then, suddenly, a miracle happened after the character he had long sought after emerged on his screen. “Oh my God!” he screamed in delight. “Yes!” he yelled, thrusting his hips into the air in some sort of odd celebration. “There’s a God up there! There’s a God up there! We f**king did it!” “Oh my f**king God. Oh, f**k!” he continued to swear profusely. “Let’s f**king go!” It’s pretty unfathomable to see someone literally spend that kind of cash all for a video game character, but that pretty much sums up the free-to-play model in a nutshell. Genshin Impact has had one of the most successful launches for any Chinese game in history and so far its review scores are highly favorable with an 80 Metacritic Metascore and 74 user score. Only time will tell if its success continues or if users get fed up with having to pay big bucks to play as certain characters.

Streamer loses his mind over huge donation to help him meet his father – Dexerto
Streamer loses his mind over huge donation to help him meet his father Twitch streamer ‘asduvvy21’ was left speechless after receiving almost $5,000 from one donor, helping him smash his donation goal to go to the Philippines and meet his biological father. Most streamers have a donation goal attached to their broadcasts to put the money their fans give them towards a good use. Sometimes it’s an upgrade to stream equipment, rent for the next month, or a holiday. For asduvvy21, he was looking to go visit his dad in the Philippines, and was slowly banking up his money heading into the new year. The streamer was just minding his own business in his three hour Killer Instinct podcast, when serial donator ‘Fatty Melon’ dropped by to say hello and wish the streamer well. Instead of just kind messages though, Fatty Melon left a much bigger gift, a donation worth almost $5,000. As the donation rang through for $4,788.46, asduvvy had no idea what to do other than leave the room. He threw his headset in shock, leaving his fellow podcasters unsure as to what happened. However, once they saw what happened, they collectively lost their minds. “Oh my god,” was all ‘iiBitty’ could muster, as the rest of the cast gazed upon the mega donation in awe. “Yo, you’re going to see your dad,” said ‘ThatOneJoker’. It took asduvvy a few minutes to compose himself and come back to the stream, where he was met with rapturous applause and a lot of love. He described how much it meant to him to receive the donation, and where the $6,000 his viewers lovingly put in would go. “My birthday is in February, and I’d really love to go out there for a couple of weeks right around then. I still have to grab my passport, I just got the pictures for that, and now gotta figure out the details. I can’t breathe.” The streamer was elated with the prospect of visiting long-lost family, and still couldn’t believe what had happened even well after the broadcast ended. “Thank you so much Fatty you don’t understand what it means to me to have this opportunity,” he said in a Twitter post. “This is just the beginning of the journey. My mom is in disbelief and told me thank you a thousand times.” Thank you so much @Fatty_Melon you don’t understand what it means to me to have this opportunity. This is just the beginning of the journey. My mom is in disbelief and told me thank you a thousand times. https://t.co/DUUP75J9do — Alex (@kingduvvy) December 18, 2019 Fatty Melon is no stranger to dropping dosh to make a streamer’s day. While his identity is unknown, he’s given out thousands to small-time Twitch broadcasters to completely change their lives. He gave ‘MissBehavin’ $2,500 on December 15 to upgrade her entire PC setup, while he dropped over 200 subs into Will Neff’s channel in November, making the streamer tear off his shirt in excitement. The $5,000 donation to asduvvy is one of his biggest yet, and arguably the most impactful. The small-time podcaster is now set for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and will finally get to meet someone so close to him after all of these years.

Streamer loses “faith in humanity” after shocking “Coronavirus challenge” – Dexerto
Streamer loses “faith in humanity” after shocking “Coronavirus challenge” Married2Gamin, Twitch / Ava Louise, TikTokTwitch streamer ‘Married2Gamin’ was bewildered to find a viral TikTok of Ava Louise showing the social media starlet performing the “Coronavirus Challenge.” Amid a worldwide pandemic, world leaders are advising people to keep safe distances from one another in public and being actively conscious about how they conduct their lives with respect to curbing the contagion’s spread. In a questionable social media trend, the TikTok user was seen doing the Coronavirus Challenge which saw Louise licking the seat of a toilet. Married2Gamin, more widely known for the YouTube reaction channel ‘Married2TheReal,’ was dreading hitting play on the since-deleted TikTok showing a thumbnail of Louise’s head almost level with an airplane bathroom toilet seat. “I am trying right now before I click this video to have faith in humanity,” Married2Gamin said. “But if f***in [Louise] licked this f***ing… Oh Lord, Jesus.” Trying his best to stay composed, the streamer reluctantly pushed play on the clip which immediately showed Louise skimming the surface of the seat with her tongue. Not being able to immediately see the remainder of the six-second video, Married2Gamin had to take a step back from what he just saw. But when the streamer came back, he was convinced “there was no more humanity” in the world, in part due to the bizarre trend making its way around the internet. “God, just f***ing wipe us off the face of the Earth,” he said, still seemingly in disbelief at what he’d just witnessed. “[Louise] just licked the f***ing toilet seat, and you’re all sitting here wondering why you got the f***ing coronavirus.” Natural selection working overtime https://t.co/w73v4gv7in — kay 🐻 bear (@kayyybearxo) March 15, 2020 The coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, is creating a respiratory illness among infected. It can travel via droplets when a victim sneezes, coughs, or talks. Droplets can keep the virus “viable” depending on the surface for one to three days, according to a study to be published by Dr. James Lloyd-Smith, an assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of California. It’s because of the nature of transmission and its ability to infect someone without immediately showing symptoms that are causing great concern among the world’s healthcare leaders. This could be why Married2Gamin was so rattled at the TikTok influencer brazenly exposing herself to germs in a time where COVID-19 has spread to 162 countries, infected over 180k, and has killed more than seven thousand people so far.

Streamer left shocked as Ice-T’s son cuts off her hair in TwitchCon “prank” – Dexerto
Streamer left shocked as Ice-T’s son cuts off her hair in TwitchCon “prank” Twitch: Malek_04Ice-T’s son, Tracy Marrow Jr, is facing backlash after cutting a streamer’s hair as a “prank” during a TwitchCon party, leaving the broadcaster stunned. TwitchCon Las Vegas is officially in the books. Taking place from October 20 – 22, the event brought together Twitch’s top talent for a weekend of community and collaboration in Sin City. While there were plenty of hilarious and heartwarming highlights that took place over the weekend — including one Twitch streamer’s tear-jerking proposal — some drama also happened amidst the celebrations. One moment in particular is going viral for all the wrong reasons after the son of a major celebrity cut off a streamer’s hair in an ill-received “prank.” Ice-T’s son cuts off Twitch streamer’s hair in “prank” When TwitchCon is happening, it’s not uncommon to see streamers gather together to live stream any parties they might be attending at or around the event. This was the case for Twitch streamer Malek_04, who was broadcasting at a house party over the weekend. During her stream, the son of American rapper and actor Ice-T, Tracy Marrow Jr, walked up to Malek holding a pair of scissors and cut off the ends of her hair while she stood in front of the camera eating an orange. “Wait, what the f*ck?” Malek exclaimed after she realized what was happening, quickly backing away from Tracy. “What the f*ck, man?” another person can be heard saying off-camera. “Yo, who wants it?” Tracy said, holding up the wad of hair to the camera with a smile. Although the rest of Malek’s VOD is unavailable to watch on Twitch, she was later seen crying further on in the broadcast – but viewers claim her tears may have been the result of a different situation. Other viewers pointed out that cutting off someone’s hair without their consent can be considered assault, which could result in jail time, should the victim choose to pursue legal avenues. Malek has yet to speak about the incident on social media at the time of writing, leaving viewers waiting for answers.
