  • Streamer left shocked as Ice-T’s son cuts off her hair in TwitchCon “prank” – Dexerto

Streamer left shocked as Ice-T’s son cuts off her hair in TwitchCon “prank” Twitch: Malek_04Ice-T’s son, Tracy Marrow Jr, is facing backlash after cutting a streamer’s hair as a “prank” during a TwitchCon party, leaving the broadcaster stunned. TwitchCon Las Vegas is officially in the books. Taking place from October 20 – 22, the event brought together Twitch’s top talent for a weekend of community and collaboration in Sin City. While there were plenty of hilarious and heartwarming highlights that took place over the weekend — including one Twitch streamer’s tear-jerking proposal — some drama also happened amidst the celebrations. One moment in particular is going viral for all the wrong reasons after the son of a major celebrity cut off a streamer’s hair in an ill-received “prank.” Ice-T’s son cuts off Twitch streamer’s hair in “prank” When TwitchCon is happening, it’s not uncommon to see streamers gather together to live stream any parties they might be attending at or around the event. This was the case for Twitch streamer Malek_04, who was broadcasting at a house party over the weekend. During her stream, the son of American rapper and actor Ice-T, Tracy Marrow Jr, walked up to Malek holding a pair of scissors and cut off the ends of her hair while she stood in front of the camera eating an orange. “Wait, what the f*ck?” Malek exclaimed after she realized what was happening, quickly backing away from Tracy. “What the f*ck, man?” another person can be heard saying off-camera. “Yo, who wants it?” Tracy said, holding up the wad of hair to the camera with a smile. Although the rest of Malek’s VOD is unavailable to watch on Twitch, she was later seen crying further on in the broadcast – but viewers claim her tears may have been the result of a different situation. Other viewers pointed out that cutting off someone’s hair without their consent can be considered assault, which could result in jail time, should the victim choose to pursue legal avenues. Malek has yet to speak about the incident on social media at the time of writing, leaving viewers waiting for answers.

  • Streamer left red-faced after failing in-store skateboard dare in style – Dexerto

Streamer left red-faced after failing in-store skateboard dare in style Twitch: DSKoopaTwitch streamer ‘DSKoopa’ loves sharing his hilarious antics from his Seattle-based retro video game store, but one trick he was dared into doing by a viewer ended in near-disaster after he failed to land the right way up. DSKoopa is passing the time right now by maintaining his retro game store, Pink Gorilla Games, and restoring old machines to their former glory. However, sometimes someone comes along and challenges him to test his skateboarding prowess. The streamer is so confident in his skills, he has a 50,000 channel points reward for doing tricks or giving out gift subs. While he professes to have “never not landed a kickflip” before, the unfortunate happened on this one occasion. After three redemptions of the reward in a row, DSKoopa nailed the first kickflip. The second one though, was a different story. “To ‘KingFrodo3991’ who has challenged me to a ‘kickflip or gift sub’, what a fool,” he said, bracing himself for going back-to-back with the gift deny. He was soon eating his own words. While he managed to get off the ground and get the flip, he went a bit too far. As he landed back on the board, he was off balance by a fair margin, which led to him falling off. While this in itself isn’t anything massive, DSKoopa wasn’t in a particularly open space doing tricks. He was at the desk of his cramped store, with displays and cabinets everywhere. He crashed backwards onto a glass cabinet containing retro DS and Gameboy cartridges. While a stray cardboard box helped brace his fall, the shelves in the cabinet fell apart, leaving the cards scattered everywhere. The streamer didn’t dwell on it though, jumping right into the next challenge — yet another skateboard trick. “Of course, I’ve never not landed a kickflip, so —” he said, with a hint of nervous laughter. He did nail the next one, meaning KingFrodo was just the lucky recipient on the end of DSKoopa’s misfortune. After all, he must have been hit by an asteroid mid-jump just that once. After the backlog was cleared, DSKoopa checked on the condition of his cabinet. Thankfully nothing broke, although there was a bit of a mess he needed to clean up. And to those wondering whether the streamer hurt himself after the ungracious fall, he had other things on his mind. “Who do I owe a sub to? I’m okay, don’t worry about me.”

  • Streamer left shocked after giant rat invades his store – Dexerto

Streamer left shocked after giant rat invades his store Twitch streamer Cody ‘DSKoopa’ Spencer, who owns and streams and out of his video game store, had an unwanted customer in his shop on November 3, when a giant rat appeared in the background of his broadcast. The beauty of Twitch is that every stream is live, meaning viewers, and often the creators themselves, have no idea what could happen during their broadcast to the world, usually leading to some hilarious and crazy moments. While packing shipments from his Pink Gorilla Games store in Seattle, Washington on November 3, Twitch viewers were able to spectate the crazy moment when a giant rat scurried across the floor of the store, much to the shock of Spencer. 400DSKoopa hosts Twitch Home Shopping Network, a show where he gives his viewers a look at the awesome games, accessories, and collectibles he has in the store, and was packaging up purchases made by his audience on stream when he heard a bang coming from behind him. With the store closed, the streamer spun round to try and identify the source of the noise, when a rat scurried across the floor in clear view of the camera, before disappearing somewhere inside Pink Gorilla. Unsurprisingly, DSKoopa was stunned by what he just saw, yelling in surprise before spinning round to face the camera with a look of complete shock on his face. DSKoopa was clearly frustrated by the creature’s appearance and placed the blame on a restaurant near his store.“It’s that disgusting restaurant next door,” the streamer stated. “They do not cover their food. I just emailed the property owners, they’ve got to kick those guys out. We had the exterminators come by because this happened in the past, and we went over there, and they had a basement full of open containers.” It seems that DSKoopa will likely have to call the exterminators in again, as the rat remains at large, and certainly doesn’t intend to buy any nostalgic gaming items from the store. The streamer’s chat suggested that the rat could become a store mascot, but it seems that the animal’s days are numbered based on the email he sent to their landlords.

  • Streamer Jessica49 apologizes for accusing man of “sexualizing” her in viral gym video – Dexerto

Streamer Jessica49 apologizes for accusing man of “sexualizing” her in viral gym video TikTok: jessica.frndz / Twitter: TheJoeySwollTwitch streamer Jessica49 has apologized for accusing a man of “sexualizing” her at the gym in a TikTok video that took social media by storm and sparked backlash against her. In late January, a clip from Jessica49’s Twitch stream went viral, which showed the influencer working out in a gym. During her workout, Jessica criticized a man standing some ways behind her, accusing him of “sexualizing” her after he attempted to help her put plates on a bar she was using for hip thrusts. Her video went viral after she was called out by fitness influencer Joey Swoll, who took issue with Jessica for calling the man a “stupid f*cking piece of f*cking sh*t,” arguing that he was likely simply trying to help her put the heavy plates on the deadlift bar. “Any experienced lifter knows that when you have a barbell on the ground… it’s very difficult to put plates on,” Swoll said. “He sees that you struggled, being an experienced lifter he comes over and tries to help you, ’cause that’s what kind people do.” A few days after the video went viral, Jessica published a statement to Twitlonger apologizing to the man and to anyone she offended with her words during the stream, calling the matter a “gross mistake.” Jessica49 apologizes for “gross mistake” after gym video sparks backlash “I want to apologize sincerely to the man at the gym where this all started,” she wrote. “He didn’t do anything wrong to me and I blew our interaction out of proportion.” “After reading literally thousands of comments about me, the situation and the man in question, it truly opened my eyes to how damaging this could have been for him,” she continued. “Men and women deal with very different problems in the realm of the opposite sex and after looking through the lens of an innocent man put in a situation like that. It honestly made me feel sick to my stomach with guilt.” Jessica went on to say that she was “extremely immature” for treating the bystander that way and expressed a desire to “never hurt anyone ever again in this way.” The influencer also added that she would be removing the video from all her social platforms, but says her Twitlonger apology “isn’t going anywhere.” Thus far, Joey Swoll has yet to respond to Jessica’s statement, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as he does right here on Dexerto.

  • Streamer lashes out at Twitch for being banned after dog poops on her – Dexerto

Streamer lashes out at Twitch for being banned after dog poops on her Twitch: ValannnA Twitch streamer is hitting out at the platform after she received a ban when her elderly dog suddenly pooped on her during a broadcast. Twitch streamer ‘Valannn’ was left mortified after her elderly Shiba Inu dog named ‘Kouki’ had an accident during one of her broadcasts in late July. In a now-deleted clip, Valannn could be seen holding Kouki, explaining to her viewers that her senior pup likely needed to use the bathroom due to the way he was wagging his tail — a sign that signaled to the streamer that Kouki needed to go. However, she didn’t get the chance to put Kouki outside before the Shiba started releasing his bowls right then and there. Valannn was understandably embarrassed; but despite the stinky situation, many viewers found it hilarious and a clip from the stream went viral online. Twitch streamer banned after elderly dog poops on her during broadcast Unfortunately, it seems as though Kouki’s accident had major repercussions for his owner. On July 26, Valannn shared a screenshot of an email from Twitch, revealing that she’d received a temporary ban due to the incident. The screenshot also claimed that she has received a Community Guidelines strike against her account for “sharing content featuring bodily fluids.” “My first time EVER getting banned on Twitch because my 12 year old dog, Kouki, accidentally pooped on my stream,” Valannn wrote. “Does this really keep the community safe? SMH.” Luckily, this is Valannn’s first-ever ban; but Community Guidelines strikes can have lasting consequences for streamers. As told by Twitch’s email, getting hit with multiple strikes can “result in a permanent suspension.” Luckily, Valannn revealed that her ban is only for 24 hours — so viewers won’t have to wait long for her to return to streaming. But Valannn is still upset with Twitch over the site’s response to her dog’s accident. “I didn’t realize my dog was pooping, and as I lifted him up, he started to poop, and you see a little droplet,” she explained in another tweet. “And that’s when I ran to take him outside. So yes, poop is not allowed.” However, it looks like she may have gotten a potential sponsorship out of the whole situation, as DUDE Wipes asked her: “Where do we send the wipes?” Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time a streamer’s dog has made a mess during one of their broadcasts; in June, a streamer’s dog took a poo on their bed during a sleep stream, leaving them to wake up to a huge mess.

  • Streamer JERICHO outraged after car is vandalized with vulgar messages – Dexerto

Streamer JERICHO outraged after car is vandalized with vulgar messages Twitch streamer and YouTuber Tucker ‘JERICHO‘ Boner uploaded a series of photographs that showed he’d had his car vandalized in the middle of the night, with the culprit leaving some rather crude messages. If you own a car, one of your worst nightmares is probably that somebody will crash into it, rear-end it at a stop light, or damage it in some ridiculous way, costing you time and a lot of money in repairs. This fear ended up coming true for streamer JERICHO, who woke up to find that his Mercedes AMG C43 had unfortunately been scribbled on with a permanent marker pen. JERICHO’s car vandalized On January 5, the American uploaded a photograph of his vehicle to Twitter with the caption “Are you f**king kidding me. This is permanent marker. Who f**king does this?” The car’s trunk had been scrawled on with permanent ink, and displayed a crude message that read “c*m in my food,” and some other unintelligible scribblings. “Like what the F**K,” the YouTube star said in a follow-up tweet. “I am so tired of having my car f**ked with.” After friends and fans suggested that he use a whiteboard marker to try and lift the ink off, the streamer uploaded another photograph stating that it had been an unsuccessful attempt, and that he’d have to take his car to the dealership. “Expo marker trick doesn’t work well,” he said. “Gonna go to the dealer now I guess.” The Twitch personality then revealed that his vehicle wasn’t the only one to be targeted – his neighbor had also had their Volkswagen vandalized in a similar manner as well. “Someone was having fun last night, huh?” he tweeted, alongside another photograph. “My neighbors car too.” While it’s hard to make out exactly what the culprit scribbled on the neighboring car, it appeared to utter similar sentiments about “c*mming” and also bizarrely stated that rapper “Jay Z is dead.” Someone was having fun last night huh? My neighbors car too. pic.twitter.com/wkofjp990k — TUCKER (@JERICHO) January 5, 2020 Luckily for the streamer, the dealership was able to repair the damage pretty quickly and free-of-charge – though they did have a laugh at what was written on the car. “Thanks for all the suggestions, but I didn’t want to f**k up my paint and lease agreement by accident,” he followed up. “Dealer was cracking up and removed it pretty quick, didn’t charge me either.” Aaaand were sorted. • Streamer is brutally honest about why she wears certain clothing – Dexerto

Streamer is brutally honest about why she wears certain clothing Popular Twitch streamer HelenaLive responded incredibly honestly to viewers calling her out for her choice of clothing. Female streamers have been the subject of plenty scrutiny on the platform, as Twitch has attempted to clamp down on more ‘revealing’ streamers, with stricter rules. Rules about appropriate attire are hard to clearly define however, and much is left to interpretation, but clothing should be suitable for a public setting. Helena, a streamer with almost 300,000 followers, clearly wasn’t happy when certain viewers began questioning what she was wearing on stream. When one viewer asked if she knew how to wear a hoodie correctly, Helena made it very clear why she wore it a certain way with a sarcastic response. “I know how to wear it correctly, but I also like guys, and I want guys to look at me” she explains, continuing, “like a hot piece of meat, so I wear it like that.” When other viewers also began to question her outfit choice, Helena continued to defend and explain herself. “I am Helena, and I have a really nice rack, and I like to show it off any chance I get. Why would you watch Helena when you can watch Selena, who doesn’t show her tits for example,” as she tells those viewers who have a problem with her clothing to go elsewhere. Clearly, Helena is fed up of certain viewers, who instead of ignoring her content, choose to comment in her chat. More: Hilarious fan made parody video shows OpTic’s Crimsix interviewing with MMA fighter Conor McGregor – Although Twitch strictly enforces its content rules, it appears that Helena is not in breach of any, as her channel remains active and growing.

  • Streamer IShowSpeed banned from Valorant after sexist outburst goes viral – Dexerto

Streamer IShowSpeed banned from Valorant after sexist outburst goes viral YouTube: IShowSpeedYouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed has been banned by Riot Games from playing Valorant, after a clip he claims is months old resurfaced, showing him berating a female teammate. Valorant, in particular, has been criticized for having a toxic chat environment for anyone who’s not a man – something developers have been keen to show strong public opposition to. Despite measures taken, there is little that can be done to prevent someone from randomly bursting into sexist ranting in game chat, even if faced with the threat of a permanent ban. The problem is of course exacerbated if streamers with large followings exemplify the very behavior that is being stamped out, as IShowSpeed was accused of after the clip went viral on Twitter on April 6. He has since apologized for his actions, saying he was totally in the wrong and could not justify his words in any way. In the clip, he calls the teammate a “b*tch” and instructs her to go do dishes instead of playing the game. However, his almost 7 million subscribers on YouTube are unlikely to ever see him playing Valorant again after producer Sara Dadafshar confirmed they had “permabanned this player from Valorant, as well as all other Riot Games.” “This is a huge yikes and we do NOT want players like this in our community at all.” This is a huge yikes and we do NOT want players like this in our community at all. I went ahead and perma banned this player from VALORANT, as well as all other Riot Games. Thanks for raising this. Please keep raising stuff like this and reporting so we can make VAL safer. 🔨🔥 — 🌱 Sara Dadafshar (@npcSara) April 7, 2022 IShowSpeed actually played Valorant on his April 6 stream, which was titled “you guys might not see me no more.” However, he quit the game mid-match after asking a female player on his team if she was single, to which she responded “shut up.” (See 1:41:49) IShowSpeed’s channel on YouTube also appears to be in danger too, though. Replying to the viral clip, YouTube’s Global Head of Gaming Creators responded “On it” – indicating some form of action is set to be taken against Speed. In explaining his actions in the old clip, Speed said that he had already been subjected to racist abuse from teammates, but that this did not justify his actions.

  • Streamer instantly regrets roasting viewers in Football vs Soccer debate – Dexerto

Streamer instantly regrets roasting viewers in Football vs Soccer debate Twitch streamer erobb221 threw his hat into the eternal soccer vs. football debate and was almost immediately owned by Google after trying to prove to chat he was right. Erobb is a fairly popular streamer on the platform with more than 150,000 followers, but he opened a can of worms during a recent stream when he tried to claim that the most popular sport in the world is actually called “soccer” not “football”. For anyone outside of the U.S. it’s called football, but in the states “soccer” is the go-to term because another massively popular sport is already called football. Why did erobb start this debate? In an attempt to prove Twitch chat wrong, erobb insisted that the game’s official name was soccer and he was confident he would have the data to back it up. “Football dumbass? Actually I’m pretty sure it’s called soccer, dipshit” the streamer told chat. “It’s called fucking soccer. Alright, actually, let’s Google.” Erobb took his question to Google, confident the internet would prove him right, and Twitch chat wrong – but at first it did neither. “What is the sport called where you kick the ball?” erobb typed into the search bar. “Speedball? No, ‘into a goal.’” Finally, Google came up with the sport erobb was looking for and it seemed at first that the streamer had been vindicated. “Soccer, the sport of Soccer, see? Idiots, Google is right, you’re wrong,” erobb proudly told chat, before reading on. “Called football in most of the world,” he read with a laugh. “I should have read forward a little bit, nevermind.” Erobb was streaming during prime EU hours though, and the Euro-dominated chat wasn’t about to let him live his claim down. “‘You’re an ignorant American’, how am I ignorant?” erobb asked. “I forgot that I’m on EU time so I’m getting ganged up on, I don’t have my NA boys with me.” Erobb may have been proven wrong, but the soccer vs. football debate probably won’t die out with his discovery. What is interesting though, is that the term “soccer” seems to have come from Britain, and not the U.S. originally, according to University of Michigan professor Stefan Szymanski. The word “soccer” is believed to have originated in Britain around 200 years ago to distinguish the sport from Rugby Football, but the Brits eventually moved on from the term while it remained popular in the states.

  • Streamer instantly fails after making gameplay quality warning – Dexerto

Streamer instantly fails after making gameplay quality warning Twitch streamer Dumplings perfectly timed her warning about the quality of gameplay she was able to pull off as she immediately found herself failing inside Dark Souls. While many of the internet’s most popular streamers are actually pretty high-level in terms of their gaming skills, not everyone is going to be able to pull off an insane CS:GO ace like Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek or a 150-meter PUBG sniper shot like Dr Disrespect. Some are actually pretty open about not being the best gamers around, especially when they step outside their comfort zone and try their hand at something new. However, not everyone is like Dumplings, where she immediately came through on her warning about not being the best Dark Souls player that viewers would ever see. During her January 4 stream, the popular League of Legends streamer had been trying her hand at the infamously infuriating game when she decided to give her viewers a little heads up about what they could expect. “If you’re new to the stream, I’m very very new [to this game], I only play League of Legends and Dead by Daylight, so don’t expect good gameplay,” she said. Hilariously, though, as soon as she said “don’t expect good gameplay,” the streamer immediately kept her word and went walking off the side of a cliff. She saw the funny side of things though, as she immediately burst out into laughter. “That’s what I’m talking about!” Dumplings added. Even though she fell to that all too familiar “you died” message from the game, the streamer got back on her horse and tried again – even though she had to go through the same enemies as she did prior to her hilarious fail. Thankfully for her viewers, the mishap didn’t stop Dumplings from keeping on with Dark Souls play-through, as she carried on for around an hour before switching to LoL – something she admitted to being a little more her speed.

  • Streamer instantly regrets eating dog food for donation challenge – Dexerto

Streamer instantly regrets eating dog food for donation challenge CarlaSophie, TwitchOne unlucky Twitch streamer’s unique donation challenge went south in a hilarious way, after a viewer tested her resolve to eat wet dog food in exchange for a specific amount of cash. Many live streamers set certain goals for themselves throughout their careers, with the aim of growing their viewership or reaching a particular amount of money donated by fans. Some of these broadcasters will even undertake a particular challenge as a reward for their viewers’ support, such as one streamer’s bizarre “Wasabi” challenge that concluded with him vomiting after downing an entire bottle of the spicy condiment. While it’s no “Wasabi challenge,” partnered Twitch streamer “CarlaSophie’s” own undertaking is humorously reminiscent of the ordeal, which entailed eating an entire spoonful of wet dog food in exchange for a donation of €50 due to the prodding of her fanbase. However, it doesn’t seem like Carla actually expected anyone to take her up on the challenge, as evidenced by her reaction to a viewer’s donation of the exact amount and ensuing message that read, “You seem hungry.” After claiming that her chat wasn’t going to donate the €50, the streamer had to go through with her promise, and left to procure both a large spoon and a package of dog food to meet her fans’ demands. Holding her nose closed, Carla popped the dog food into her mouth — but unfortunately, she wasn’t able to keep it down, and ran off camera to spit out the concoction before she chucked up the rest of her stomach’s contents. After a long moment, she appeared, admitting that she had actually thrown up in her trash can due to the challenge. “I swallowed a little bit and I accidentally lifted my fingers off my nose, and that’s when it hit me,” she explained after offering to refund the viewer’s €50. “It was so bad!” CarlaSophie isn’t the only streamer to have eaten dog food as of late, either: popular broadcaster HAchubby likewise sampled pet food with fellow star LilyPichu — but unlike Carla, the Korean streamer actually seemed to enjoy the animal treat. Although Twitch streamers definitely do some strange things for the camera, this particular instance made for an unforgettable moment for both HAchubby and Carla’s audiences.

Streamer takes inspiration from Belle Delphine by “selling” bath water Japanese streamer ‘Meowko‘ took a page out of Belle Delphine’s book, and “sold” her bath water to her Twitch chat in the middle of her broadcast. Belle Delphine set the internet ablaze on July 2 when she announced that she was selling jars of ‘Gamer Girl’ bath water to desperate fans. Shocking everyone, they actually sold out in record time. However, after the online personality had her Instagram account banned, she has been mostly silent with her content. One Japanese streamer decided to fill that void, and poke fun of the star by “selling” her own bath water on stream to her Twitch chat. Bath water business During her October 20 broadcast, the Japanese streamer was washing her dog in the tub when she decided troll her audience by joking about the Belle Delphine incident. After the pup got out, Meowko stayed by the bathtub before deciding to hop in herself. As she replicated the original video of the Instagram star bathing to sell her product, the streamer asked “Who wants this bath water?” as she cupped some in her hands. “I’m going to sell, who wants that?” (Mobile viewers, click here to view the clip.) The streamer then went to dry off her dog, but not before she cheekily asked her chat “How much for the dog water?” as her pet had also been in the bath as well. She then came back to the tub later after finishing with her animal, and joked with her audience, saying, “Are you guys clean yet?” after having “sold” them the bath water on stream. (Mobile viewers, click here to view the clip.) Meowko further joked about the incident on Twitter as she posted a picture from the stream and asked her followers how much they would be willing to pay for it, echoing Belle Delphine further. • Streamer in tears after hugely generous donator reveals they are terminally ill – Dexerto

Streamer in tears after hugely generous donator reveals they are terminally ill YouTube: WeestPopular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Jacob ‘Weest’ West was overcome with emotion while streaming on June 15, after a regular viewer of his stream revealed their terminal Leukemia diagnosis. Weest was streaming Minecraft to his 67,000 followers, when he announced to his stream that a regular viewer of his had donated “thousands of dollars” worth of equipment to his postbox. “They sent me, to my PO box, a whole bunch of equipment,” he explained. “Thousands of dollars worth of equipment, dream equipment. I was like, this has to be a joke… I made a joke that they must be like an oil baron or some shit like that. But it looks like they have Leukemia.” Weest was clearly very emotional and grateful for the fan’s generous donations, as he went on to explain the situation further. “They know that it’s not looking good,” he said. “And that, I can only assume that they don’t want or have a need for the money.” Clearly touched by the fan’s incredible gesture, he divulged that they plan to help as many people as they can, as well as giving large amounts to charity. After explaining the situation to his audience, Weest became understandably tearful while playing Minecraft, as he built an in-game ‘shrine’ to the viewer. The viewer had taken it upon themselves to help one of their favorite content creators, a move which eventually led to Weest becoming choked up, and moving away from his streaming setup momentarily. Weest referred to the viewer as ‘Beam’, someone who is a regular viewer, who the streamer would “recognize” in his chat often. Weest’s other viewers were also affected by the situation, appreciating the gesture and empathising with the streamer as he became visibly upset. While the situation is incredibly difficult for Weest’s community, it goes to show the extent to which Twitch streamers and their fans are able to cultivate meaningful relationships, and created a poignant moment on stream. The thoughts of everyone at Dexerto go out to the viewer and their family and friends at this difficult time.

  • Streamer humiliated after being trolled by her dad over vibrating tool – Dexerto

Streamer humiliated after being trolled by her dad over vibrating tool Twitch: JadeyAnhA Twitch streamer was left red in the face after her father trolled her in the middle of a broadcast. The personality had previously been given a hard time by her chat for a vibrating skincare tool. Sometimes streamers decide to open up to their viewers about their personal life, even if it leaves them in tears of laughter. This is what happened to ‘JadeyAnh’ after she showed her Twitch chat the gift her father had given her. However, after her audience mistook the skincare item for something else, the personality was left speechless when her father decided to side with the trolls and landed a perfectly timed joke. Streamer trolled by dad over vibrating tool The whole mishap kicked off on April 4 when the streamer decided to share that her father had bought her a gift. “So my dad, because he watches my streams, he knows me a little bit more than I want him to. So he gave me this,” she said. She then held up the object in front of the camera, and clicked a button which immediately made it vibrate. “So when he turned it on, I was like “what is that?” He was like “I know what you’re thinking this is, but it’s not. It’s for pulling up whiteheads!” Read More: Pokimane explains the downside of Twitch – However, despite trying to explain that it was a skincare tool, her chat erupted into hysterics as many of her viewers had already mistaken the object for something else. The streamer broke into laughter at their reaction. A day later, Jadey met up with her dad on stream, and tried to clarify the whole mishap. “I just explained to my dad there is a clip on Reddit of me, because he gave me something to suck out the blackheads and whiteheads off the nose,” she said. She then continued to explain how her chat misunderstood what it was. “I put it on, so it vibrates. Because it’s a machine. And I put it in front of the stream and was like “It’s a gift from my dad” and of course everyone was like, vibrating, gift from dad… Holy s**t!” The Twitch personality then told her chat that her father wanted to speak to them.”Okay, my dad wants to tell you something.” She turned the camera to him, and without missing a beat, he said, “It’s a di*do.” She then screamed, “What the f**k!?” and covered her face with her hands while laughing in embarrassment. The comical clip shows that streamers, like everyone else, have parents that are willing to lovingly embarrass them. His perfectly-timed joke had everyone in laughter. Despite the hilarious misunderstanding with her chat, JadeyAnh has built up and audience of 32k followers with her Just Chatting and IRL streams at the time of writing.

  • Streamer hits out at Twitch for deleting clip of her breastfeeding on stream – Dexerto

Streamer hits out at Twitch for deleting clip of her breastfeeding on stream Twitter: HeatheredEffectTwitch streamer ‘HeatheredEffect’ has slammed the livestreaming platform after a clip of her breastfeeding was taken down without any warning. The streamer, who has amassed over 15,000 followers on the platform, can regularly be found chatting with viewers and handing out advice, taking on a painting stream, and even diving into some ASMR. However, during a recent Just Chatting stream, she had been breastfeeding a child in a move to try and normalize breastfeeding in public. A highlight clip of the moment, which some viewers took as a not-safe-for-work violation of the Twitch terms of service, quickly went viral and racked up over 20,000 views before mysteriously disappearing – and HeatheredEffect was not happy about it. 600During a Twitter storm after the clip had been deleted, the streamer took Twitch – and some confused viewers – head-on, asking why the specific moment had to be removed. Sharing the highlight for those who may not have seen it, she tweeted: “This clip (which had over 20k views and would’ve helped tremendously with the #normalizebreastfeeding movement) was deleted by Twitch with no explanation. We obviously have a long way to go in the fight to normalize breastfeeding.” Today I streamed while breastfeeding on @Twitch. (@HeatheredEffect) July 24, 2019 After a number of Twitter users pointed out that the clip contained brief moments of nudity and would be against Twitch community guidelines, HeatheredEffect even dug up the current rules to fight her corner. “ToS takes context into consideration which is why @TominationTime can stream shirtless,” she added. “Regardless, some rules are meant to be broken to move society forward. I believe this is the right thing to do.” ToS takes context into consideration which is why @TominationTime can stream shirtless. You are wrong here.” My wife breast feeds in public all the time…. she uses a cover which is normal. They make them specifically for that purpose. He said: “I think breastfeeding is completely normal and non-sexual. I feel similarly about peeing: everyone does it and it is (generally) non-sexual, but you can’t do that on-stream either. I don’t think Twitch are the bad guys here, we agreed to their terms of service in the first place.” I think breastfeeding is completely normal and non-sexual. It remains to be seen if she carries on her fight via livestreams, and if Twitch acts in a similar way in the future.

  • Streamer hits out at Twitch after receiving DMCA strike on 4-year-old deleted VOD – Dexerto

Streamer hits out at Twitch after receiving DMCA strike on 4-year-old deleted VOD Twitch: LacariVariety streamer Lacari has hit out at Twitch after the company hit him with a DMCA strike for a deleted VOD from 2017. DMCA strikes are always stirring up controversy on Twitch. They usually happen when a streamer plays some form of copyrighted music live on their stream, with authorities receiving strange calls from politicians to have streamers jailed for breaching the rules. There have been some truly bizarre strikes handed out in the past, from a GTA RP player getting struck for “sirens and horn blasts” to another streamer getting hit for someone stealing his emote. In light of complaints, Twitch has rolled out new processes to help streamers manage VODs to avoid strikes. The latest bizarre incident happened to Lacari, a variety streamer who has accumulated over 200k followers since starting his channel in December 2016, as he was punished for a four-year-old VOD which was deleted from the platform. Lacari alleged that the DMCA strike he received was from an Eminem song he played in 2017, on a VOD which has since been deleted. “Not really sure why it just appeared on my channel though,” he said. He later provided an update, where he explained that he was initially notified about the strike over a year previously via email, but the strike didn’t appear until much later. “The problem is they don’t tell you what the strike is from, and it wasn’t there when I started the stream before!” he added. update: apparently the DMCA strike was from a deleted 2017 vod where i played an eminem song not really sure why it just appeared on my channel though — Lacari (@tk_lacari) April 23, 2021 DMCA strikes are a minefield for Twitch streamers, with the likes of Summit1g and TimTheTatman claiming they are in danger of having their channels wiped because of repeated strikes. Twitch has more plans to make DMCA management much easier for streamers as 2021 progresses, with its product roadmap detailing plans to allow streamers to sort clips and VODs by games player, and review VODs that have been struck from the Creator Dashboard. However, for now, DMCA strikes will remain a major risk around which Twitch streamers will be forced to navigate.

  • Streamer hits out at TwitchCon for “dangerous safety issues” in upcoming event – Dexerto

Streamer hits out at TwitchCon for “dangerous safety issues” in upcoming event Twitch, Lowco/InstagramStreamer Lowco has criticized TwitchCon party organizers for not offering guests “enough” free water as only three drinks tickets are given to each ticket holder. TwitchCon is due to take place in Las Vegas in October. But people on Twitter have now hit out at the event organizers for not offering free, available water for all guests. Twitch streamer Lowco took to Twitter to criticize TwitchCon Party organizers for not offering an unlimited amount of free water to guests attending the desert event. With average temperatures in Las Vegas being around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in October, as long as there’s not a heatwave, Lowco argued that all guests at the event should be offered free water. At the moment, it’s only the party ticket holders that are offered free water. Lowco tweeted a photo of what’s included with the $100 party add-on, which is purchased on top of the $149 tickets to TwitchCon. This included: outdoor festival grounds with DJs, dueling axes, an asylum bar and arcade, five iron golf, meow wolf’s omega mart, museum fiasco, wink world, and 3 drink tickets to be used for water, soda, or alcoholic beverages. She commented: “The TwitchCon Party is $100 and includes 3 free waters! Nice!” People call out TwitchCon for dangerous safety issues In response, she got comments arguing against her, with one person saying: “Not everyone drinks alcohol, they’re just letting people know other options are available. Omega Mart is usually $50+ by itself. The need to be negative is wild.” However, Lowco hit back by saying: “Not having free water at an event that costs $100 during dangerously high temperatures is absolutely worth complaining about.” Most other Twitter users seemed to agree, with one person saying: “Agreed. Water stations, water fountains, etc. Should all be free and highly accessible. It doesn’t have to be bottled water, but it is a safety issue with high temps.” Another person added: “If it’s bottled water, it’s standard to charge at attractions, but I’d agree that tap should be free if available.” It does not say on TwitchCon’s website whether there will be other means of water on site, or if the three drinks tickets will be all that’s offered. This is not the first time TwitchCon has been under fire. In 2019, the organizers were criticized for leaving drinks out unattended for guests to take.

  • Streamer heartbroken after Twitch accidentally trolls him with Partnership – Dexerto

Streamer heartbroken after Twitch accidentally trolls him with Partnership Twitch/daquanwiltshireA Twitch streamer was left absolutely devastated after receiving an email accepting his request to join the Partner program only to be told it was sent by mistake. Becoming a Twitch Partner is the main goal for many streamers as it allows them to make significantly more money through monetization, ads and other benefits. As such, getting an email confirming they’ve been accepted can be a tremendous moment in one’s streaming career, but for Twitch streamer ‘daquanwiltshire’, he went from being overjoyed to absolutely heartbroken. In a post on Twitter, Daquan posted both emails Twitch had sent him with the first saying he had been accepted to join the Partner program while the second took it all back. Why twitch playing with me like this tho pic.twitter.com/ICyzEhi8kX — Daquan DSG🤘🏾, GG, FLK, AA, RRBB 🐝 (@whatifiwasblack) July 8, 2021 Basically, imagine you had just been told you had successfully landed your dream job, but then before you could even fist pump, the company said they’d hired you by accident – that’s exactly what happened with Daquan. “We apologize as our system sent the wrong email,” Twitch explained. “It looks like your channel was recently suspended or recently restored from a permanent suspension.” According to Twitch, channels need to be in good standing for 90 days following a suspension in order to be eligible to join the program so even though Daquan may have met all the other requirements, his channel being suspended held him back. Bro this was my face when I read the second email. I was hurt — Daquan DSG🤘🏾, GG, FLK, AA, RRBB 🐝 (@whatifiwasblack) July 8, 2021 “Why [is] Twitch playing with me like this?” he captioned the photos, sharing his disappointment with his followers. In the comments, Daquan explained he felt “hurt” when he read the second email. In another, he even took a bit of a shot at Twitch for suspending him to begin with, writing: “Can’t even call a mf a virgin without getting banned.” Omg bro fr. Can’t even call a mf a virgin without getting banned 😒 — Daquan DSG🤘🏾, GILF Guild, Flesh Light Knights 🐝 (@whatifiwasblack) July 8, 2021 For his part, however, Daquan could have a very good chance at getting Partner once enough time has passed from his suspension. He currently has over 30,000 followers on the platform with his VODS pulling over 10,000 views. While Twitch’s mistake definitely left him stunned, hopefully in a few months he tries again and is accepted – for real this time.

  • Streamer goes viral with “perfect” on-stage proposal at TwitchCon – Dexerto

Streamer goes viral with “perfect” on-stage proposal at TwitchCon TwitchPopular streamer ‘Lowco’ went viral after proposing to her girlfriend during TwitchCon’s opening ceremony, winning hearts all over the net. Proposals can be tense affairs. Making sure you’ve orchestrated the perfect moment to confess your undying love for your partner is enough to make just about anyone sweat! However, a few proposals have been so perfect that they went totally viral online. For instance, one man conscripted an entire plane to join in when he decided to get down on one knee during a flight to admit his intentions to his girlfriend. The moment took social media by storm for weeks — and now, another “perfect” proposal is making the rounds on the internet. Streamer goes viral proposing on TwitchCon’s big stage TwitchCon Las Vegas is underway, bringing together some of the net’s top streamers to meet up, hang out, and make content together. One of these creators is OG broadcaster Lowco, who’s been a professional streamer for nine years. During TwitchCon’s opening ceremony, Lowco interrupted her presentation to make an announcement — one that involved both Twitch and the audience watching the event live. “It’s only fitting that Twitch and this community play a role in one of the most incredible moments of our entire lives,” Lowco said. “Because Christie Skylar, I do not want to be apart from you ever again.” Lowco got down on one knee and popped the question, to which her girlfriend, Christie, said “Yes.” The two sweethearts shared a kiss onstage as audiences clapped with joy, sharing in the couple’s happy moment. The moment was made even more special thanks to a custom graphic that appeared on the big screen behind the two women, showing a photo of the couple encased in a heart. The clip has gone viral online, racking up over 138K views on X and many more on Twitch as viewers congratulate the happy duo. This is just the latest adorable proposal to go viral after a couple’s proposal at Super Nintendo World got trolled by a Luigi, who just didn’t care.

  • Streamer has perfect response to troll “complimenting” her clothing – Dexerto

Streamer has perfect response to troll “complimenting” her clothing Twitch: PlayWithJamboTwitch streamer PlayWithJambo hit back at a viewer for their comments about her choice of clothing on stream, after they had praised her for “not being basically naked.” There is often debate about what is appropriate to wear as a Twitch broadcaster, with viewers often suggesting some streamers will dress more suggestively to attract attention. The platform has strict rules about what is appropriate attire, but there is a view that they are not always so strictly enforced. PlayWithJambo however, wasn’t happy at all when a viewer thought they could pass comment on what she chose to wear. The viewer had arrived in her stream and immediately posted “thank you for not being basically naked to speak your mind,” perhaps believing it was complimentary of the streamer. But Jambo snapped back, “if I wanted to wear a tank top and flash my ti**ies all over Twitch, I would do it, and I wouldn’t need your approval to do so.” “I’m sorry, but anybody with that kind of close-minded attitude – it’s not a compliment. It’s important to me that you know, that’s not a compliment. Putting down other women and what they choose to wear, what they choose to do and who they choose to be, is not complimenting somebody else.” https://twitter.com/PlayWithJambo/status/1222282695880953856 Jambo suggested some alternative comments that could have been left, which would have actually been complimentary, such as “I really like your hoodie!” Concluding, the streamer exclaimed, “if you want to have your ass hanging out of some shorts, if you want to have your ti**ies out, that does not decrease the value of your opinion. The clothes that anyone wears, should define the value of your opinion.” Earlier in January, another female streamer, Indiefoxx, also hit out at viewers, disappointed that her viewership and sub count would drop when she wore less revealing clothing. Indiefoxx explained that dressing in certain ways had “made my stream more successful but it has not made me mentally okay with what I believe the entertainment industry is.” Others have argued that there is no winning, regardless of which side you are on. Another streamer, AshleyRoboto, explained “If you have cleavage, the men will bitch at you on Twitch. If you have a turtleneck, the men will bitch at you on Twitch. What do you want?” PlayWithJambo finished her monologue by showing that her hoodie said “filthy”, and saying “my hoodie matches your attitude, sir.”

  • Streamer goes viral by showing KSI vs Logan Paul 2 in glasses reflection – Dexerto

Streamer goes viral by showing KSI vs Logan Paul 2 in glasses reflection Over 10,000 found a unique way to watch the KSI vs Logan Paul 2 fight without shelling out or heading to an illegal stream. After months of trash talk and waiting from fans, KSI and Logan Paul stepped back into the boxing ring on November 9 to settle their long-standing feud once and for all. In the end, the British YouTuber was able to overcome his foe – picking up a split decision victory despite being knocked down late in the fight. The official pay-per-view numbers have not yet been released, but it appears a decent number of fans were able to find a way to watch the pair square off, even if they may have been left feeling queazy at the end of it. In photos circling on Twitter, over 10,000 people were able to view a broadcast of the fight on YouTube by purely watching the reflection of a streamer’s glasses. In one image posted by ryxn78, a man can be seen peering at the fight with the reflection of his screen showing Logan and KSI squaring off. It may not be the greatest quality, but it’s quite easy, and also pretty hilarious, to make out where the fighters are in the ring and just how far away the referee is. 11,000 people ILLEGALLY watched the LOGAN VS KSI match through this guys glasses :joyful: #loganpaulvsKSI2 pic.twitter.com/We7jDwfaf9 — Ryan (@ryxn78) November 10, 2019 If the free, probably illegal broadcast wasn’t enough though, some viewers could be seen giving the streamer instructions about not moving his head so they can see even more clearly. One user even called out for him to adjust the brightness of the screen so they can get a better view, while others thanked him for pulling off the unusual stream. Of course, pirating these live fights is illegal, but that won’t stop curious onlookers who don’t want to shell out for the bout from doing so. The last meeting between KSI and Logan Paul, which was broadcast on YouTube pay-per-view, suffered a little bit, even though over one million people tuned in, as thousands re-streamed the contest on Twitch and other platforms.

  • Streamer goes viral for calling out “disrespectful” Among Us players – Dexerto

Streamer goes viral for calling out “disrespectful” Among Us players Twitch/JulienYouTuber and Twitch streamer Julien ‘julien’ Solomita has gone viral for a clip in which he called out Among Us players who are disrespectful towards others in-game. In the viral clip, which has been viewed over 350,000 times since being uploaded to Twitter on December 4, Julien blasted people who infect his lobbies with negativity or make others feel “unsafe.” “When I make these lobbies, when I go around and hit up some of my friends, and often times some of my friends’ friends to play Among Us with me, I have one thing in mind: that everyone I’m inviting gets to have fun,” the streamer began his rant. “Gets to feel welcome. Gets to feel safe. Gets the exact opportunity as everyone else to be listened to. And gets to go home at the end of the night and say that had a good night of gaming,” he continued. According to Julien, this mantra should be enforced for new people. “I’ve met more people in the streaming world playing Among Us than I’ve ever met, by far, than any other game,” he explained. “So, when new people are in my lobbies, I try to go extra to out of my way to make those people feel like they’re welcome and they get to have fun.” Communication can be key in Among Us, so it makes sense that anyone who plays would want to be able to speak freely and not be spoken over. As such, when players aren’t able to get a word in, the experience can be ruined. This is why the streamer has “zero tolerance” for the “normalization” of disrespecting people in video games. https://twitter.com/juliensolomita/status/1334743507890622470 “Among Us is a game and it’s for fun. It’s not so boys can talk over women. It’s not to make new people in the group feel small or unwelcome. It’s not to win in every game at all costs,” he continued to rant. “It’s a game and it’s for everybody to enjoy.” He went on to reach out to players who may have been disrespected in online games and hoped that they never experienced that again. “I don’t want anyone here to get the idea that it’s even close to normal for that to be how you feel when you play a video game. That’s not normal. It’s f**king weird, it’s wrong.” A lot of people have taken Solomita’s message to heart and voiced their agreement in the replies. Hopefully, his words have a lasting effect on players feeling a bit out of touch in online games such as Among Us.

  • Streamer goes viral after her hilarious The Witcher 3 plot rant – Dexerto

Streamer goes viral after her hilarious The Witcher 3 plot rant Twitch streamer Nuts provided her hilarious take on part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s story as she lost her mind with doing ‘favors’ for Kiera Metz. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may have released back in 2015, but it has seen itself become one of the most popular games on both Steam and Twitch in recent weeks. This sudden shot in the arm of popularity follows the release of Netflix’s live-action take on the popular franchise, giving people who may not have had an interest in the game in the past a chance to actually see what all the hype is about. As such, many players have enjoyed the critically acclaimed third game but others, like Nuts, have found hilarious issues with its plot and storylines. During her January 3 stream, the Norwegian streamer was locked into a few quests centering on Kiera Metz – one of the game’s many side characters – when she took issue with what she was being asked to do. “Why am I cucked? Every single time, I’m cucked.” Nuts yelled while also slamming her desk. “Why does she keep asking me to do favors? I’m here hoping for some like nice times spent together. I’m hoping for us to bond, for you to become my friend, to stay with me and she just keeps asking me to do things every single time!” The streamer wasn’t finished with her hilarious rant there though. “She keeps asking me to do stuff for her and I’m like a fricking lap dog,” Nuts added. “She hasn’t given me any money yet, she hasn’t given me any herbs, she hasn’t given me anything! I just keep doing stuff for her because she’s so hot and I can’t help myself!” Due to the hilarious nature of the moment, fans quickly created a highlight clip of it and shared it around, prompting the clip to go viral with well over 80,000 views. Those views might not force the game to give Nuts some progress with wooing Kiera but that comes later down the line anyway – provided you run all her errands first.

  • Streamer goes to bizarre lengths to prove his socks are clean – Dexerto

Streamer goes to bizarre lengths to prove his socks are clean Twitch: NoHitJeromeTwitch streamer NoHitJerome went to some rather bizarre lengths to prove that the socks he was using as a towel were actually clean after drenching himself with water during a hardcore session of World of Warcraft. Be they big or small, streamers can do some pretty interesting and wild things to entertain their fans during a Twitch broadcast. Dr Disrespect is one of the most notable with his Champions Club ad breaks, dance sessions, and mini-skits, but for someone like NoHitJerome who is yet to hit the levels of people like The Doc, their on-stream moments can end up being downright bizarre in a bid to entertain a handful of viewers who are all spamming the same messages. So, during his January 19 broadcast, NoHitJerome – who can usually be found streaming World of Warcraft – dove into those bizarre depths. As he danced along to some heavy music while sat in his chair, he declared that he needed a quick water break. Though, when he got back, he didn’t exactly gulp a bottle down. Instead, he covered his head with a full glass before taking a drink of a cup and slobbering it all down his chest – leaving him soaking and needing to clean things up before he headed back into his marathon World of Warcraft session. His answer to cleaning things up wasn’t exactly a towel. Instead, he grabbed a pair of socks and started using them to clear up the water that had drenched his clothes. However, some viewers claimed that they weren’t the cleanest pair he could have grabbed. “They’re not dirty, they’re completely normal socks. They’re not dirtier than normal, you know what, they’re clean, I can prove exactly how clean they are,” the streamer said before lining them up with his mouth, taking a few licks, and then even shoving them in like he was prepared to eat the socks. Unsurprisingly, this left quite a few of his viewers disgusted but plenty of others quickly moved to joke about it in his chat, creating some hilarious spams in the process. Next time, though, grabbing a clean towel might be more appropriate than the socks. Plus, it’s less likely that people will be thinking it is dirty as well.

  • Streamer goes viral after being reminded she’s married with perfect timing – Dexerto

Streamer goes viral after being reminded she’s married with perfect timing MrsRuvi, InstagramA hilarious clip of a Twitch streamer has gone viral after being reminded by her own son that she’s got a husband during a broadcast. MrsRuvi has just under 7,000 followers on her channel and can often be seen streaming in the Food and Drink category, which is often the place that people will go to watch cooking live streams and the likes. That’s exactly what her fans have come to expect from the streamer as well, serving up a variety of different dishes during broadcasts such as pizzas, waffles and more on a regular basis. MrsRuvi is constantly whipping up some incredible food for her Twitch viewers. However, it wasn’t the sight of delicious food that brought around 250,000 people to watch a viral clip from her stream on September 23, but instead something that her young son decided to reveal. Speaking directly to one of her newest subscribers, user philipdefranco – which wasn’t actually the popular YouTuber – Ruvi was clearly delighted to see that they had come on board to support the channel. “You guys are now part of the streaming crew. Phillipdefranco why don’t you notice me? Notice me philipdefranco. You’re so handsome,” she joked, before her son interjected with a hilarious comment. MrsRuvi was obviously joking about the whole thing. It appeared that the young boy beside her had taken her comment seriously for a split moment, though, turning around to face the camera. “You have a husband!” he shot back, before laughing. This isn’t the first time that the streamer has had a clip of her content go viral, either. One of her streams was abruptly ended back in April after hitting a ball of dough down so hard that it broke their setup, with coffee going everywhere. For smaller streamers that are trying to climb the ladder on Twitch, there’s no doubt that boosting their support base and subscriber count is an exciting accomplishment. That was clearly the case here as well, but nobody watching could have expected such a funny way for the subscriber to be welcomed to Ruvi’s community. It was great!

  • Streamer freaks out after being spooked by opening door – Dexerto

Streamer freaks out after being spooked by opening door sabrinaperez, TwitchA Twitch streamer was shaken up after her door seemingly opened by itself during a live broadcast, leaving both her and her pet pooch seriously frightened. As one of the net’s top broadcasting platforms, Twitch is known for capturing some shocking and unexpected moments on camera — and this particular moment takes the cake. Streamer Sabrina Perez was the unfortunate victim of one such incident, who was in the middle of chatting with her audience when the totally unexpected occurred. As she was talking, her front door seemingly opened of its own accord, causing her to scream out of fear as her dog bolted to the porch, barking up a storm. The streamer pulled her dog back inside and closed the door, admitting that the incident had scared her out of her wits. “I’m so sorry!” she apologized, walking back to her setup. “That scared the s**t out of me! Oh my god, I’m gonna cry! …I’m really scared.” (WARNING: the clip below is LOUD.) There’s no denying that one’s front door opening all by itself leaves plenty of room for questioning: was it a stranger hoping to break in, or merely the wind? Could it have been some sort of paranormal activity? Perez later admitted that it was windy outside, although her door had never opened due to weather conditions, before. “Like, it’s windy outside, but — I don’t know,” she continued, nervously looking back at the door while her dog chuffed. “I literally don’t know. The wind’s like, never opened my door before. I’m so confused. What the f**k just happened?” This isn’t the first time a broadcaster has undergone a spooky experience on stream, by far: an IRL streamer was similarly scared out of his mind during a broadcast earlier in the month, after the lights in his hotel room began to mysteriously flicker just as he admitted to never having had a run-in with the paranormal. No matter the case — faulty wiring, the wind, or pressure in the room — both streamers’ experiences make for a humorous and chilling moment for the Twitch history books.

  • Streamer gives brutally honest take on Twitch viewership culture – Dexerto

Streamer gives brutally honest take on Twitch viewership culture Indiefoxx, TwitchTwitch streamer ‘Indiefoxx’ explains one of her biggest problems with the viewership culture on Amazon’s broadcasting platform. Twitch allows anyone to broadcast their interests to their world, whether it’s playing games, creating art or just sitting around with a cup of tea and chatting to viewers. However, over the course of the last few years, many streamers have picked up on and implemented various strategies to maximize their channel’s viewership, although not everyone is happy with some of the tactics used. Indiefoxx has revealed some of her frustrations with Twitch viewership. During her stream on January 25, Twitch streamer Indiefoxx began to discuss culture around the popular broadcasting site and explained one of her main concerns with the platform. “A win for me would be where I could wear a t-shirt and actually have people give a sh*t,” she expressed, pointing out her realizations about the site, “I wear a t-shirt I go down to 300 subs for no f**king reason.” She followed up by explaining that she noticed considerable increases in viewership over little changes such as dressing up and revealed it had a negative impact on her. “All the little changes like dressing up, putting on the charade has made my stream more successful but it has not made me mentally okay with what I believe the entertainment industry is,” the Twitch streamer shared. Indiefoxx also expressed that, in many cases, streamers would exaggerate certain aspects of their character to become more entertaining to fans. “This isn’t really what women are, this isn’t really what people are like. It is not real. It’s bullsh*t,” she told her viewers. This is not the first time a streamer has spoken out about tactics to lure Twitch viewers in, as fellow streamer perlababe has also revealed some of the tricks she has taken advantage of to boost her viewership numbers.

  • Streamer forgets she’s live, admits “milking” broadcast for donations – Dexerto

Streamer forgets she’s live, admits “milking” broadcast for donations A Twitch streamer made an embarrassing mistake when she forgot to end her broadcast – then admitting to “milking” viewers for donations. Donations are one of the main ways for streamers to make an income, alongside ad revenue and subscribers who pay upwards of $5 a month to support their favorite streamers. In the history of Twitch, there have been some insane donation amounts. Although typically only $1 or $2, some have amounted to tens of thousands of dollars in the past, really showing just how much money can be made if you’re a top streamer. Regardless, you’ll rarely see streamers asking for donations or complaining when they don’t receive any – but Elleybooo definitely wasn’t impressed when she went an entire stream without any tips. Mistakingly believing she’d ended her stream, she made a quick call, and asks if they want to play Call of Duty before talking about the stream she thought was now over. “That was a boring f**king stream, I was trying to milk it because I wanted a donation but whatever,” she said. Asked if she ended up getting one, she simply looked dejected and said “No.” Elley goes on to repeat that the stream was “pretty boring,” though it’s not clear whether that’s because of the lack of donations or something else. Meanwhile, other streamers are getting donations for all the wrong reasons – including this guy, who ate a tin of cat food in exchange for some money. While most broadcasters probably do hope to get donations from their viewers, and may feel slightly put out if they don’t get any, you’ll rarely see any content creator actually talking about it and expressing their disappointment. Elley has now removed the VOD of the broadcast, and will surely be apologetic to fans upon her return for the slip-up, but has not yet publicly commented on the incident.

  • Streamer FRAN completely quits Twitch and Overwatch amid NFT backlash – Dexerto

Streamer FRAN completely quits Twitch and Overwatch amid NFT backlash Twitter: FRANA_OWOverwatch Twitch streamer and Toronto Defiant member, Francine ‘FRAN’ Vo, has announced that she will no longer be streaming or playing the game she has become best-known for. Her decisions follows some backlash over NFTs. In the wake of a tweet claiming that the number one NFT in trade is, in fact, produced by the Overwatch team, in response to criticism from Overwatch fans about her own adoption of NFTs, FRAN received backlash from some the game’s fanbase. Referring to the incident as a “dumpster fire,” she has gone on to apologize for the tweet and her responses in a lengthy January 24 Twitlonger. In the post, FRAN said that she will no longer be streaming or playing Overwatch – even when the highly anticipated sequel, Overwatch 2 is finally released. Overwatch streamer FRAN leaves Twitch Discussing the difficulties she’s experienced while streaming, she confesses that “streaming for me was not as easy as it may have looked.” “I was harassed almost every single day since my franplayshalo days, whether it be a creepy comment to full-on nonconsensual pictures in my DMs. I was constantly scrutinized for the way I looked and it caused massive insecurities and low self-esteem in myself. The extreme loneliness and unhealthy habits I’ve developed from streaming caused an abundance of harm. And don’t get me started on the bullying. My entire self-worth was dependent on likes and numbers. I wish to never have to experience that again.” She continues, “I mentioned before on stream that I was moving home to take care of my parents, particularly my father who had a stroke and subsequent seizures, and I did/am doing exactly that. In last few months I have been much happier and repaired my relationship with my family, who I had abandoned the last five years to ‘go play video games for a living.’” Answering the questions “Will I play Overwatch ever again? Probably not, and Overwatch 2 won’t change my mind. Will I ever stream again? Probably not,” she concludes, “I would like to close this chapter of my life and move on.” https://twitter.com/FRANA_OW/status/1485831110814842882 FRAN leaves a legacy of Overwatch content behind her, and has etched herself into the game’s history. But, at least for the time being, we may not see her in the public eye again.

  • Streamer followed by alleged six-month stalker during chilling IRL broadcast – Dexerto

Streamer followed by alleged six-month stalker during chilling IRL broadcast Yoomjji, Instagram / FreepikThanks to the advent of IRL streaming, internet personalities are free to broadcast their daily lives for their audiences to see – but sometimes, these broadcasts can capture moments that are downright chilling, as seen in the case of one Twitch streamer in late July. While many female internet stars have unfortunately been acquainted with overly enthusiastic male fans, some of these fans can be a little too ardent, with a few even crossing the line as to what is considered socially acceptable behavior. Korean streamer ‘Jinnytty’ (also known as ‘Yoomjji’) was confronted with one such fan on a public bus, who has allegedly been stalking her for over six months. Twitch streamer Jinnytty was followed onto a bus by a man who has been stalking her for six months – leading to a frightening encounter. A harrowing clip taken from her July 20 broadcast shows the streamer pointing toward a man in the seat behind her, who obscured his face with a fan to conceal his identity. Jinny, obviously shaken, worriedly covered her mouth with her hand before seeming to laugh off the encounter – but that wasn’t the end of the incident, by far. Jinny even showed translations of what seems to be a conversation with the stalker to her chat during their drive, showing one message that read, “If you didn’t follow me, why are you covering your face?” and another that said, “And why were you in the dark alley hiding next to the bar last week?” Thankfully, Jinny ended her broadcast with a trip to the police station, after claiming that she’d wanted to give the stalker a chance to redeem himself – but ultimately ended up being too frightened to let the stalking continue. “This isn’t fun,” she said of the matter. “I’m actually scared, and I’m not the type of person who gets scared easily.” Comments from a Reddit thread of the debacle reveal that the man had been following her since January, even keeping a detailed schedule of her day-to-day routine. This wouldn’t be the first time a streamer has had to plead with a stalker to protect their privacy, by far: in fact, in October 2018, Twitch streamer Jenna broke down in a teary plea to her own stalker, begging him to leave her alone. • Streamer finds weird way to keep busy during 24-hour handcuff challenge – Dexerto

Streamer finds weird way to keep busy during 24-hour handcuff challenge Twitch: IzidoreTwitch streamer Izidore had a pretty interesting way of keeping himself entertained after the person he was handcuffed to during his 24-stream decided to catch a bit of shut-eye. Aside from showcasing the best video gaming talents, Twitch also gives a home to streamers who want to take their daily routine and throw it into a bit of a reality TV show-like setting. We’ve seen streamers lock themselves inside a cage – not once, but twice – in a bid to become a ‘better person’ even though that got cut short. Yet, Izidore – a growing streamer – took things to a pretty unique level by handcuffing himself to fellow broadcaster MelissaBug as a part of a 24-hour challenge. However, seeing as there isn’t all that much that you can do while handcuffed to another person for a full day, MelissaBug opted to catch some shut-eye while Izidore entertained the viewers by chatting with them. Yet, he found a way to keep himself entertained while also keeping his fellow broadcaster as a part of the stream. As she lay asleep, the streamer threw a live cut-out of his mouth over hers, lining it up so his smile looked strangely natural on her mouth, before parodying what his fellow streamer. “Hello, it’s me, Melissa,” the streamer said. “I love being handcuffed to Izidiore for 24-hours. Wow, I’m so excited I could sleep.” Though, that entertainment didn’t last too long for Izidore, so the streamer returned to making pouty faces, a few natural-looking but strange smiles, and attempting to make it look like he was poking the camera feed of his mouth. He gave up not long after, noting that he had “milked” enough of that mouth content, so he switched back to the regular camera set-up for the final few hours of his pretty unusual challenge.

  • Streamer floored after neighbor rages due to noise complaint – Dexerto

Streamer floored after neighbor rages due to noise complaint LosPollosTV, TwitchStreaming can be a noisy job, but for one broadcaster, this fact turned into a full-blown argument with his neighbor after they called security due to his loud gaming session. Out of all occupations in the online entertainment space, live streaming can be one of the most versatile and explosive, with broadcasters going to insane lengths to entertain their viewers. With some streamers locking themselves up in cages for a month to even drinking a bottle of wasabi, it comes as little surprise that platforms like Twitch have unintentionally captured some crazy moments — but a February 19 broadcast has taken the proverbial cake. Partnered Twitch streamer “LosPollosTV” was in the middle of a video game with his roommate when they heard a loud knock on the door, prompting the duo to investigate their possible visitor. As it turns out, it was their disgruntled neighbor, who came to vent his grievances about loud noise from the buddies’ broadcasting sessions. The altercation turned into a heated argument between the two parties, with the neighbor clearly claiming that they weren’t able to get any sleep due to the noise. “‘What the f*ck!’ You’re screaming through the wall,” the neighbor explained. “I’m imitating what you’re doing. That’s how loud it is, guys. …dude, my bedroom is right there! For the past two hours you’ve been screaming, ‘What the f*ck!’” This prompted LosPollos to challenge his neighbor to call security, which seemed to end the altercation. The streamer and his roommate then sat down in front of the camera to explain that the man had allegedly even tried to enter their apartment — a daunting situation, considering they described him as “six foot ten.” “Dude comes over and is yelling in the doorway like he was gonna come in the apartment,” the streamer explained. “…we’ve been here for over a year. I’ve been streaming for how many days? It’s not like this is a new thing, bro!” Thankfully, the roommates didn’t have to deal with security for the rest of their evening — but the incident goes to show how some residents aren’t too fond of bawdy streamers living in their complexes.

  • Streamer finds headphone indent after shaving head for charity – Dexerto

Streamer finds headphone indent after shaving head for charity Twitch: CurtossSmall Twitch streamer ‘Curtoss’ discovered that prolonged use of headphones when gaming might have left a mark on his head when he shaved off his hair for charity. Curtoss, a small Twitch streamer, experienced a bump in followership and views after his June 3 stream where he collected money for the charitable organization named Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The streamer had a series of goals to incentivize donations to the charity, with the $1000 total donations incentive goal being that Curtoss will shave all of the hair from his head. The clip of him shaving his head went viral because Curtoss and his viewers noticed that the streamer has a visible notch or indent on the top of his head, where his headphones usually rest when being used. Streamer shaves for charity revealing bump on his head Curtoss was probably the one most shocked by his discovery when shaving. “Dude I have an indent like right here, this is where my headphones go, I have a f**king headphone indent on my head,” screamed out the streamer upon the realization. A logical answer about the indent can be found in a Reddit thread related to the clip found on r/LivestreamFail. “The indent is temporary. It’s only skin. Headphones aren’t gonna cause a permanent dent in your skull,” stated one user in the comment section of the thread. Many commenters were quick to compare Curtoss to Tyler1, a league streamer that frequently shows off his dents made by extended usage of headphones when gaming and streaming. Tyler also commented on this topic multiple times, stating that the dents are temporary and they go away when he’s offline. We hope Curtoss sees only more and more success in the future, it takes a lot of guts to shave hair you have been growing for months or years, especially for charity. • Streamer falls asleep and is shocked to find hundreds waiting for him to wake up – Dexerto

Streamer falls asleep and is shocked to find hundreds waiting for him to wake up JesseDStreams, TwitchA Twitch streamer couldn’t believe his eyes after waking up from a deep sleep during one of his IRL streams, and the clip of his “awakening” has since went viral. JesseDStreams, who is used to seeing between 10-50 people take a look at clips from his channel, was shocked to find that over 200 viewers were sitting there anxiously waiting for him to wake up. It took him a few minutes to get to grips with what had happened, but was clearly excited by the increased attention that his channel had received. His reaction was priceless! While 200 viewers doesn’t sound all too impressive, the clip has since been viewed over 265,000 times on the streaming platform – at the time of writing. After many users has been clipping him and donating to his channel while he was sleeping, he finally emerged. Jesse stared at the camera for a few moments and was clearly completely blown away by what had happened since he last looked at his stream. “Hi… What is this?” he said after waking up. “Hi guys. Hi folks. My nap was good! I’m in shock, yes I am. There’s 213 fucking people here, holy shit!” One user, Postman00, went on to suggest that his face should be the new Twitch sleeping emote. Would he like that to happen in the future? Judging by his reaction here, perhaps.

  • Streamer “fell in love” with Twitch mod and flies across the world to meet – Dexerto

Streamer “fell in love” with Twitch mod and flies across the world to meet Twitch: jessticlesAn Australian Twitch streamer made the 30-hour journey all the way to Germany, to meet one of her chat moderators, confirming they had “accidentally fell in love.” Typically, the relationship between a Twitch streamer and their chatters is rather one-way. While viewers feel like they ‘know’ the streamer, the streamer themselves often sees nothing more than a username in their chat. Some viewers are a lot closer of course, usually moderators of the chat, their to keep other viewers in check and help the streamer with organizing content like giveaways. In some rare cases, streamers and moderators can become close friends, or, in this case, more than that. Twitch streamer “accidentally” fell in love with mod Australian streamer Jessticles, who generally streams in the Just Chatting section, posted on Twitter on October 25 to confirm she had landed in Germany after a 30-hour trip. In the tweet, she quipped “#TwitchisADatingSite?” – a reference to the common plea from streamers that it is not, in fact, a dating site, and they don’t want to field romantic offers from viewers. On her stream, she explained that it had been a total rollercoaster of emotions. “This is the biggest rollercoaster that either of us have ever been on. Never felt anything like this,” Jess said. “It doesn’t compare to anything else and it never will.” “I had like 300 emotions in two minutes,” her new partner, Yannick, agreed. The announcement quickly gained traction on Twitter, and some other streamers even shared similar stories. Streamer MrRusty even confirmed that he was engaged to be married to his mod, after she flew all the way from Florida to be with him. Jess’s story has shown that perhaps deeper relationships can in fact be formed on Twitch, especially within some of the smaller communities. Streamers with tens of thousands of viewers may benefit from the extra money and attention, but it’s nearly impossible to form real friendships with many viewers.

  • Streamer exposes major flaws with Twitch’s tools to combat hate raids – Dexerto

Streamer exposes major flaws with Twitch’s tools to combat hate raids Pixabay/TwitchAs hate raids continue to plague Twitch, with marginalized streamers targeted, one has exposed just how difficult it can be to police chat, despite the platform giving creators tools to do so. Hate raids are a very concerning topic in the Twitch community, with armies of bots designed with one purpose: spam racist and other offensive terms in chats. This has resulted in protests, hashtags and cries for the Amazon-owned site to take action. While Twitch has acknowledged the problem and has promised change, streamers don’t feel it’s enough, especially when the tools at their disposal have major drawbacks. Content creators are advised by Twitch to use tools provided to protect themselves from harassment, such as adding offensive terms to a block list. However, as shown by streamer Art for the Apocalypse, comprehensively banning all variations of offensive terms is nearly impossible. “” @Twitch gives you tools to manage hate raids. You just have to use them.”” Okay let’s try that… (turn volume on)#TwitchDoBetter pic.twitter.com/pvxyJ8Vw1S — Thom Simonson (@thomsimonson) August 22, 2021 In a video, Art for the Apocalypse showcased how just trying to block the word “jogger” can take days, all because of all the variations of the word using special characters. “Harassers on Twitch often circumvent blocked words listed by swapping out characters in their chat messages with characters from other languages that are still easily recognizable,” he explained. Basically, in addition to banning the word “jogger” he needs to ban many variations. By creating a script, he created all the variations possible – all 21.9 million of them. Because Twitch doesn’t have an option to upload blocked terms en masse, he needs to set up his channel bot to block the terms, but there’s a problem with that too: Twitch limits the number of messages a bot can send to 100 every 30 seconds. This means that to ban one word and its multiple spellings using the Latin alphabet, his channel bot would need to run 24/7 for 76 days. We’re launching channel-level ban evasion detection and account verification improvements later this year. We’re working hard to launch these tools as soon as possible, and we hope they will have a big impact. Check out more on our existing tools here: https://t.co/Dku6eBhY72 — Twitch (@Twitch) August 11, 2021 “Expecting streamers to manage this problem themselves is not only unfair, it’s not technologically possible,” he slammed. “Do better, Twitch.” Twitch has outlined some of its plans to combat hate raids, but a lot of its improvements will only be going live later in the year. Hopefully, something can be done sooner to give streamers the power to ban certain words from their streams a lot faster.

  • Streamer explains why girls in Korea would go crazy for “cute” xQc – Dexerto

Streamer explains why girls in Korea would go crazy for “cute” xQc Twitch: Jinnytty / Instagram: @xqcow1During streamer Jinnytty’s broadcast, her friend hilariously explained why Twitch star Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel would be popular with girls in their country due to his “idol-like” looks. Overwatch pro xQc is one of the most popular personalities on Twitch, as viewers have connected with his over-the-top personality, and explosive variety broadcasts. However, the Canadian has another admirer, as during Korean personality Jinnytty’s January 17 stream, her friend revealed why girls in Korea would go crazy for him. Streamer explains why xQc would be a hit in Korea The two Korean women were in the middle of a broadcast when they started to talk about the 23-year-old. “Mr. xQc is very cute!” one of them exclaimed. Jinny’s friend then went on to claim that the Canadian would be popular with women in their country. “He kind of looks like the type of a guy that a lot of Korean and Asian girls would like,” she said. The streamer then explained why girls in her country would be attracted to him. “His hair is blonde. He’s very sleek. He’s very idol-ish look I think,” she continued. Despite her praise of the Twitch star, she pointed out, “I don’t understand his language. He talks like blah blah blah blah,” she said, in reference to the way he speaks quickly. Jinny then turned to her streaming partner and said, “Really? He speaks really fast?” “It’s so fast, I can’t understand a single thing!” the friend replied, although she was quick to point out that it was actually a good quality of his. “But that’s the attractive point of him, you know?” The two personalities then did an imitation of how quick the Overwatch pro talks, re-stating that it’s actually a charming quality. Jinny then replied with “interesting…” Whether xQc could pass for an idol in Korea or not, he continues to crush it on Twitch, growing over 1.9 million followers to his channel as of the time of this article. The Canadian streamer even had the most subscribers in October 2019, and continuously pulls in over 30,000 viewers a broadcast, making him one of the most viewed personalities on the platform.

  • Streamer explains why having a boyfriend won’t stop “creepy” viewers – Dexerto

Streamer explains why having a boyfriend won’t stop “creepy” viewers grilthegamer, TwitchFinnish ASMR streamer ‘grilthegamer’ received some disturbing messages from an overly-enthusiastic fan on Instagram — proving that, despite openly being in a relationship, nothing will stop online creeps. While being a popular online content creator might seem like the perfect job, it’s not necessarily an easy career path, with many social media personalities experiencing serious breaches of personal privacy. Twitch streamer and “ASMRtist” grilthegamer is one such influencer, who detailed her disturbing experience with a fan who came into her chat asking to visit her in Finland, claiming that his uncle lived in the European country. However, that wasn’t the end of his odd advances toward the streamer; he went on to message her via Instagram after her broadcast had ended, explaining that he wanted to be in a relationship with her despite only watching her stream one time. “‘Oh, I’m this dude from the stream, I love you so much and I think this is really real, and I want to make it work with you,’” she recounted his messages. “After one stream! And that’s the moment I knew, telling them you have a fiance — it doesn’t work!” Despite being quite open about her current engagement, the streamer claims that there’s no upside to telling viewers about one’s relationship, noting that many donators will stop their contributions after realizing a streamer is officially off the market. “It would be smarter to not make up any bulls**t, because the simps only give you money when you don’t tell them that you have a fiance,” she explained. “Or when they think that you are single. There would be no way why it would be beneficial for me to lie that I have a fiance.” Despite joking about “simps” — a term that has gone viral in online spaces — her situation is not unique, with streamers across the net dealing with overenthusiastic fans who don’t understand personal boundaries, such as “Sweet Anita’s” stalker, who moved to her city and even slept outside her home. He has also gone from planning a short visit my town, to moving to a place 4 minutes from me permanently. I’m very used to the lack of protection from the police at this point, I guess I’ll have to get used to seeing him around too. — Sweet Anita (@sweetanita) November 8, 2019 Although they may share their lives online, streamers and content creators are humans like anyone else; but the issue of personal privacy and invasive messages doesn’t seem like a problem that’s going away anytime soon, as streaming continues to boom in popularity worldwide.

  • Streamer has emotional reaction to being in Just Dance anniversary video – Dexerto

Streamer has emotional reaction to being in Just Dance anniversary video “Just Dance” player and Twitch streamer “littlesiha” had an amazing reaction to seeing that she had been added to the game’s Anniversary video. Littlesiha, whose real name is Avery, has quite the resume when it comes to the title. The 24-year-old had been competing in Just Dance World Cups, danced for Ubisoft at e3 and was even made a star player by the company back in 2015. Now, her hard work has been honored in a special Just Dance anniversary video. I don’t really have words for today’s #JustDance2020 stream. We watched their 10 Year Anniversary video in the game and I found out that I’m in it. :sob::sob::sob: pic.twitter.com/8Pl9PoYMXS — littlesiha (@littlesiha) November 1, 2019 Early in her stream on November 1, Avery was checking out the film, and had no idea she would be included in it. When she spotted herself in the video, she let out a gasp, stopped everything she was doing, and paused in complete shock. After staring blankly at the screen for a few moments, the streamer broke down in tears of happiness. “Oh my gosh,” she cried. “Oh my God, that’s so sweet.” As tears started to run down her face, Avery remembered and laughed, “I just did my makeup,” while the shock of being in the video hadn’t subsided. “Oh my God, that’s really nice,” she added. “Dude, that’s old. That’s from like, five years ago.” “I can’t believe they thought to put me in their ten-year anniversary video,” she continued before finally checking out the end of the video. “That’s really nice. I want to watch the rest of it.” Given Avery’s experience with the game and everything she has accomplished in Just Dance, being in its anniversary video overwhelmed her emotionally – to the point where she literally had to grab some issues. Her journey on Twitch has earned her over 120,000 followers, with thousands more on Instagram and Twitter. It’s unclear if whoever at Ubisoft decided to include her in the video knew she’d have such an incredible reaction, but it certainly made her day.

  • Streamer Erobb goes viral after getting instant karma in Minecraft – Dexerto

Streamer Erobb goes viral after getting instant karma in Minecraft Twitch streamer Erobb fell to an incredibly embarrassing death in Minecraft just moments after he called his chat out for trying to troll him into the exact same thing – prompting the brilliant clip to go viral. Despite releasing as an alpha back in 2010, Minecraft has had a resurgence of popularity through the back end of 2019. YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg used the sandbox title to lift himself over 100 million subscribers, while a whole host of streamers decided to dabble in at least one save. In the run-up to the new year, the game has slipped back down out of popularity, with only a handful of big-name streamers keeping up with the game once again. One such broadcaster has been Erobb, even though things haven’t gone things haven’t all gone to plan during recent sessions. During his December 26 stream, the popular broadcaster hit up the sandbox title for another playthrough – even though his chat tried their very best to disrupt things by giving out a few ‘tips’ and ‘tricks’ One such not so helpful hint centered around him being a sky-high one-by-one tower so he could get a better view of the landscape and figure out what he wanted to do. Being atop the tower, though, one viewer instructed him to hit the W key in order to zoom in. Yet the streamer didn’t bite. “You almost got me too dude,” he quickly replied, but it came with some impeccable timing. As he said it, Erobb completely missed the bucket of water he had placed down and fell from his high perch to the ground below – instantly dying. With his world being played under hardcore settings, the death had bigger ramifications for Erobb as it meant it was the end of that specific save. Of course, you can always make a back-up to get around the consequences of dying in hardcore but wheres the fun in that?

  • Streamer gets emotional after failing to raise money for charity – Dexerto

Streamer gets emotional after failing to raise money for charity Thanks to platforms like YouTube and Twitch, internet personalities big and small are able to use their popularity for good causes – but sometimes, these campaigns don’t always meet their mark. While massively popular Twitch streamers like DrLupo have raised millions for charities like St. Jude’s, lesser-known broadcasters might have a tougher time reaching comparatively smaller amounts during their own campaigns. This happened to Mexican Twitch streamer “Weenel,” who took part in MrBeast’s “TeamTrees” initiative to combat forest declination by planting 20 million trees by January 1, 2020. https://teamtrees.org/With a goal of $50.00, this meant that Weenel hoped to plant fifty trees through the organization, as a single dollar amounts to one tree. However, Weenel’s goal was set drastically short, as the streamer only managed to raise one dollar during his broadcast – a fact that made him understandably emotional. “We only got one dollar… and we’re gonna make a donation for ten dollars,” Weenel began, tears creeping into his voice. “Streaming is something I want to try. It’s not something I want to live off. I wanted to make a donation anyways. So, if somebody watches this somehow, let’s make a better world together. Despite not meeting his goal, the internet was largely moved by his optimism, with commenters across Reddit’s “live stream fails” page sending encouraging messages toward the streamer. “That’s it, man!” one user wrote. “You should never feel like any effort towards a goal is too small.” Weenel’s TeamTrees broadcast comes in wake of YouTube star MrBeast’s own jaw-dropping addition to the campaign, managing to plant over 10 million trees with the help of other top YouTubers and even Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In fact, it was MrBeast who started the entire ordeal, after fans requested that he plant 20 million trees in honor of his 20 million subscriber milestone. No matter how big or small your audience may be, it’s never too late to “make a better world,” as Weenel claimed – a sentiment that touched the hearts of viewers across the net.

  • Streamer sends emotional plea to Twitch after “indefinite” ban – Dexerto

Streamer sends emotional plea to Twitch after “indefinite” ban IRL streamer ‘WholeWheatPete’ was banned on Twitch “indefinitely” on October 28, and has since uploaded an emotional video pleading for his channel’s reinstatement. Pete is widely known for his in-real-life streams that involve some rather bizarre antics, such as trading socks with strangers, almost knocking a child out with a pumpkin, and more. In a rather unfortunate turn for the streamer, Twitch banned him from its platform on October 28, and sent an email to notify him that the suspension was “indefinite”. The email stated that the IRL streamer had received a Community Guidelines strike, and was therefore suspended for “Harassing, intimidating, or bullying others.” Wow. pic.twitter.com/vAOeQoumOi — WholeWheatPete :arrow_right:️ AWA (@WholeWheatPete) October 28, 2019 WholeWheatPete’s Twitch ban Later on the same day, Pete uploaded an emotional video to Twitter titled “Please tell me this ban is a mistake, I’m lost for words,” where he pleaded with the streaming platform to reinstate his account because, as far as he knew, it was for no reason. “Anyone that knows me would know that I would never, ever want to cause any malicious intent to anyone on my streams whatsoever!” he exclaimed. He then went on to blame trolls for mass-reporting his channel. “To see this channel go down because of people who have been targeting my stream for months, who have come into the channel trying to spam derogatory terms, and who most likely mass report me at any chance they get… It’s just so hard for me,” he said. Pete stated that he just wanted to make his viewers happy with his antics and was only trying to make people laugh. “I care so much about making people happy and making people smile because of this sad world we live in!” he exclaimed, struggling to hold back tears. “Twitch please, I beg you, just take a look at my channel, please tell me this is a mistake.” Please tell me this ban is a mistake… I’m lost for words… @Twitch @TwitchSupport pic.twitter.com/Ue4fGUagK5 — WholeWheatPete :arrow_right:️ AWA (@WholeWheatPete) October 28, 2019 The IRL streamer followed his video up further with a tweet that said he isn’t giving up on the streaming platform and hopes that it rescinds its decision. Read More: Popular cosplayer Liz Katz banned on Twitch – “I’m not giving up on Twitch,” he tweeted. “I believe in them, and I believe that this issue will be resolved soon.” I’m not giving up on Twitch, I believe in them and I believe that this issue will be resolved soon — WholeWheatPete :arrow_right:️ AWA (@WholeWheatPete) October 28, 2019 Community Guidelines strikes are usually handed out on a case-to-case basis, meaning that there are no standardized punishments for breaking them. This inconsistent moderation has, in the past, been a pain point for Twitch streamers and their communities. Twitch has also been known to lessen the length of a ban or lift an “indefinite” suspension, so Pete’s plea may bear some weight on its decision.

  • Streamer Emiru steals the TCS show with scarily accurate Tyler1 cosplay – Dexerto

Streamer Emiru steals the TCS show with scarily accurate Tyler1 cosplay During the Tyler1 Championship Series, one fan decided to go the extra mile and debut a full-blown cosplay of the popular League of Legends streamer. Besides being one of the biggest personalities in League of Legends, Tyler ‘Tyler1’ Steinkamp is also one of the biggest streamers on all of Twitch. As a result of all those eyes on him, it was only a matter of time until someone managed to cosplay as him. While there have no doubt been many people who have attempted a Tyler cosplay in the past, it seems safe to say that none of them have quite reached the level of this one. Twitch streamer and cosplayer Emiru delivered a spot-on female take on the wildly popular creator and did so during his TCS tournament in front of thousands of people. Slowly, but surely, she stripped down from her clothes and began to blend into Tyler1. As an added cherry on top, she was able to debut a bald head and a muscle suit, complete with the now-iconic “Reformed” tank top. Once she added the blue headphones, it was almost a spitting image of the League of Legends player. The clip of Emiru doing this has since gone viral and for very good reason. The only thing that was noticeably missing from the cosplay as a whole was her screaming at the top of her lungs about something, but all we had to do was wait around a bit longer for that. In fact, Tyler himself had a few things to say when he caught wind of what was going on. “Who the f*ck are you,” he yelled. “F*ck is going on here? What kind of weird voodoo *ss sh*t is going on here?” Emiru explained that she looks more like Tyler than he does, which is when he asked her to recreate his trademark shouting, which she tried to do admirably. One thing’s for certain and it’s that this cosplay will be incredibly hard to top. Not many people go through this much to pull off a cosplay so we have to give credit where it’s due. Who would have thought a female cosplayer would have been able to deliver the best Tyler1 cosplay we’ve seen?

  • Streamer EBZ under fire after apparently passing out in driving stream – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ under fire after apparently passing out in driving stream IRL streamer Ebenezer ‘EBZ’ Lembe has come under fire for seemingly passing out behind the wheel of his car while driving on a freeway. EBZ is an IRL (in real-life) streamer who can be found broadcasting on his own website rather than Twitch, and gained popularity after popping up in streams from Ice Poseidon‘s infamous CX crew. He usually finds himself in the thick of hilarious antics that end up with him raging at something or someone – be it a hotel employee, a viewer, or even a parking attendant. Yet, he’s found himself in hot water after having yet another dangerous moment behind the wheel of his own car. During his October 26 stream, EBZ was driving along the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles towards Burbank when he became quiet and his car slowly but surely started to lose speed while everyone else around him sped up. After a few moments, where the car appeared as if it was going to stop altogether and other drivers were having to quickly adjust to avoid him, EBZ’s car quickly sped back up and started cutting across lanes – even though he remained silent. The dangerous moment made its way to the Livestream Fail subreddit, where many Redditors slammed him for actions. “He goes from sleeping while driving to speeding. He’s gonna end up killing someone one day,” commented Kwoui. Others added: “Falling asleep and then going into the carpool lane with no passengers and then cutting over the double yellow line. He needs to lose his license.” While one asked: “How is this man still allowed to operate a vehicle?” Other members of the subreddit, like SirBrascal580, suggested that someone should “report his a** to the police.” After it all, it’s not the first time EBZ has come under criticism for dangerous driving. Whether or not the streamer will face any consequences for his actions remains to be seen, but with a clear pattern emerging, he may want to reconsider his driving broadcasts.

  • Streamer embarrasses H1Z1 hacker with fake ‘interview’ – Dexerto

Streamer embarrasses H1Z1 hacker with fake ‘interview’ Twitter: Flamehopper/Daybreak GamesTwitch streamer Flamehopper turned the tables on a hacker in H1Z1 by proposing an interview that immediately became a way to trap them. Before PUBG blew up on Twitch, Fortnite took over the world, and Apex Legends made its mark, H1Z1 was the original battle royale game that streamers flocked to. Daybreak’s title was never as polished as its rivals but it set the tone for what was going to follow – kicking off the battle royale revolution. Since then, it has been left behind – despite plenty of updates – but some streamers are still playing. With a smaller player base, hackers and cheats can have more of a free reign as they want their moment in the spotlight. That’s exactly what Flamehopper did during his January 17 stream. As the streamer played H1Z1, he ran into a hacker who had been making a police car fly across the sky when he managed to bring them down to the ground for an ‘interview.’ The hacker asked that he not be killed, to which the streamer obliged – at least for a minute. “I have a question for you, come here. On a scale of one to five, where five is the greatest… hold on, you’re bouncing all over, we’ve got to get the interview cam set,” said Flamehopper, as he got the hacker to stand still. Of course, it was all a rouse. As soon as the cheater stopped avoiding his clutches, the streamer gunned him down with a quick burst of fire to the head. “I hope you find happiness bro,” he added before driving away. “I hope you find happiness.” After the deed had been done, the streamer took a moment to celebrate the fact that he had a ‘clean lobby’ now that the hackers were out of the way. However, if he does run into anymore in the future, Flamehopper will have to hope that the hackers want their moment in the spotlight if he plans to run the same bamboozle attempt again.

  • Streamer EBZ has police called on him after altercation at horse ranch – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ has police called on him after altercation at horse ranch YouTube streamer ‘EBZ’s IRL broadcast at a horse ranch went downhill quickly when the online personality got into an altercation with the instructor who told him he couldn’t film while riding. Streaming personality EBZ has had his fair share of troubles over the last year and a half – from driving while intoxicated to being kicked out of VidCon 2019, he’s no stranger to controversy. However, the YouTuber found himself in another tense situation when his IRL broadcast at a horse ranch broke into an altercation, and the police were called. EBZ gets into a fight with horse instructor The online personality was doing an IRL stream at a ranch when he was told he could no longer film while riding on a horse, which led to him getting off the animal and confronting the instructor. In the video, EBZ asks for a manager before telling a female horse owner “This dude just rode me through the sh*t of the horse!” repeatedly, before turning to the instructor and hitting the hat off his head. After the physical contact, the female is heard screaming “Hey you know what? Get out of here! Or I’m calling the police right now. I’m calling 911!” as the YouTuber continued to challenge her. EBZ refused to leave and demanded a “refund,” but then the horse owner accused him of attacking the ranch’s staff. “No, I didn’t. I hit the hat off his head!” he replied in frustration. The woman he argued with then said “that is assault!” to which he snapped back “No it’s not, b**ch!” The two went back and forth for several minutes, before he called her a “lying piece of sh*t.” A police officer eventually arrived, and took the YouTuber’s statement, where he explained that the instructor initially allowed him to film, but then suddenly told him to put the camera away while riding. As of the time of writing this article, it’s not known whether the police determined that EBZ had broken the law, or if they just defused the dispute and had both parties go on their way. This just goes to show the unpredictable nature of IRL streams, as literally anything can happen, especially if people don’t like the fact someone’s recording.

  • Streamer EBZ threatens to sue viewer that clipped him picking his nose – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ threatens to sue viewer that clipped him picking his nose Unsplash / EBZIRL streamer Ebenezer ‘EBZ’ Lembe threatened legal action against a viewer who posted a video of him picking his a nose and eating it, a video he has also called fake. Being in the public eye like streamers often are, chances are you’ll get a moment you don’t want people to see get captured, as was the case with EBZ. A clip of EBZ picking his nose and then eating it went viral on the LivestreamFails subreddit, leading him to respond in an additional clip by saying he will be contacting his lawyer. EBZ calls the video fake Not only was EBZ caught on camera doing the cardinal sin of picking your nose and eating it, but he has since called the video a “deepfake” and threatened to call his lawyer about it. He doesn’t say exactly why he’d contact his lawyer but it can be deduced that he’d go after whoever posted the initial clip. “I saw that video and I was like ‘what the fuck’, maybe I was just blitzed out of my mind,” he said. “What I am gonna do is call a lawyer now, that’s what I am gonna do. If he actually did decide to sue someone it’s highly unlikely any actual legal action would come from it but it would be interesting to see him try. EBZ fell asleep while driving in April In April, EBZ made a reckless decision to go driving while intoxicated, which led to a wild ride for both himself as his viewers as he stepped behind the wheel of his car. His chat pleaded with him to end the broadcast as he dozed off while driving, but he eventually made it to his destination and continued his stream.

  • Streamer EBZ explodes at viewers after nearly ‘wrecking’ his car – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ explodes at viewers after nearly ‘wrecking’ his car IRL streamer Ebenezer ‘EBZ’ Lembe hit out at his own chat after claiming that they distracted him as he nearly rear-ended a car that he was following. As an IRL [in-real life] streamer, EBZ showcases many facets of his life – be it at home, walking round, or quite often driving around. It’s his driving exploits that have landed the streamer in trouble on more than one occasion. Back in October, he was criticized for seemingly passing out behind the wheel. The streamer, who gained popularity as a part of Ice Poseidon‘s infamous CX crew, even lost his mind with a parking attendant who was just trying to do her job. However, in recent weeks, he’s gotten into more serious trouble – receiving a $700 ticket from the police for speeding. Despite that, the streamer has already gotten back on the road, continuing on with his streams from behind the wheel of his car. During his January 2 broadcast, EBZ had been back on the road when he found himself in some slow-moving traffic. As he chatted with fans, the streamer left a gap between himself and a car in front of his camera. As the cars moved and EBZ went to fill the gap, he came within meters of hitting the car in front of him before blaming his chat for him almost getting into a crash. “You motherf*ckers are distracting me. Sh*t, you made me almost have a rear-end accident,” the streamer said, taking aim at his viewers. “I can’t talk to y’all no more. I was about to get into a wreck and if I had gotten into a wreck because I was answering you, guess what you would have said? ‘What an idiot.’” He wasn’t finished there, though, as he stated that there would have to be some changes. EBZ continued: “From now on, you’ve got to talk to me. There’s too many of y’all to share the blame, f*ck out of here.” Whether or not the streamer carries on with his car-based streams remains to be seen but it might be something he considers getting rid of, especially considering the dangers.

  • Streamer EBZ floored after being pulled over on camera for speeding – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ floored after being pulled over on camera for speeding IRL streamer Ebenezer “EBZ” Lembe received a hefty fine after being caught speeding during a live broadcast during the 2019 holiday season. After receiving backlash for several instances of driving recklessly in past broadcasts, EBZ has finally been met with legal action, which occurred just ahead of the New Year. In a clip taken from his December live stream, EBZ can be seen flying down a road when he looks in the mirror behind him to spot a police officer. “Am I being pulled over?” he asked, before his face transformed into a mask of surprise and realization. “This **** is pulling me over! What the f***? Like, what the f***? I wanna see this.” Despite his disbelief, EBZ was indeed being pulled over, with the officer later claiming that he’d been caught driving at 90 mph in a 65 mph zone — which the streamer argued had actually been 70 mph. EBZ’s driving even earned him a hefty $700 ticket, which he contested with the officer during a heated conversation in front of the camera. “So, no kind of leniency, nothing, just a $700 Happy New Year ticket?” EBZ asked. “Well, again, you’re the one operating the vehicle, not me,” the officer responded. “And I apologized, it’s a mistake, like you made before,” EBZ argued. “But you were going 90 miles an hour,” the cop replied. “When you stopped me, it was saying 80!” EBZ retorted. “You’re just telling me something you’re saying. …it’s a brand new year, can I be given some kind of leniency?” Unfortunately for the streamer, it doesn’t look like his $700 citation is going away anytime soon — which he was lucky to get off with, considering that the officer even claimed that he could give EBZ yet another ticket for not having plates on his vehicle. This is far from the first time EBZ has recorded himself driving recklessly: the streamer faced backlash after passing out during an October driving broadcast and even driving while intoxicated in April, making his New Year’s punishment a fitting result of his seemingly regular dismissal of the law.

  • Streamer EBZ allegedly banned from VidCon after filming up women’s skirts – Dexerto

Streamer EBZ allegedly banned from VidCon after filming up women’s skirts YouTube: EBZ / UnsplashWhile broadcasting live at Vidcon 2019 on July 12, controversial IRL streamer EBZ was confronted by police after allegedly filming up women’s skirts. During a VidCon 2019 livestream, EBZ was confronted by police after they received multiple complaints of the streamer allegedly “filming up women’s skirts.” In his clip, you can hear a single police officer off camera approach him and ask him if he has anything illegal on him, before informing him of the complaints made. The agent claimed that they had received a number of complaints from other attendees, accusing him of the inappropriate behaviour. EBZ denied the allegations EBZ initially asks the cop if he saw him do this, before defending himself by saying that he is a YouTuber, and asks the officer why would he jeopardize his accounts by breaking the rules. After being told to calm down, the streamer became angry and accused him of racial profiling. “It’s a music channel, it’s not about filming under fuckin’ skirts. You see a black guy, you think he’s trying to look up skirts!” he exclaimed angrily. After the officer took his information down, the camera cuts to an angry EBZ, frustrated that he’s being singled out. Then a voice off camera – presumably event security – informs the IRL streamer that his badge is being revoked. “Based on your activity last night, and some of the zooming, the close up shots you’ve been getting, and monetizing [your videos], that’s a violation of our code of conduct, so we are going to ask you to leave the event, and you are not welcome back for the duration,” the person said. It seems that this wasn’t the only questionable behavior the streamer was exhibiting at VidCon, as the staff member also claimed that he got into a confrontation with one of their security guards the night before while trying to get into an event. EBZ has stirred controversy before This isn’t the first time that EBZ has caused controversy, as there have been a string of instances of him getting into trouble in the past. Earlier this year during one of his broadcasts, he was criticized for driving while intoxicated. Numerous times during which it appeared he was beginning to nod off, scaring his audience. Then in May, he threatened to sue a fan for making a clip of him picking his nose. And if that didn’t already seem like a lot, he got into a major screaming match with one of his roommates during a broadcast just a few days ago, simply because he was concerned that the IRL streamer was breaking the rules by making too much noise after 11PM. While it’s unknown whether the allegations are true or not, hopefully his behavior over the last few months will make the streamer stop and think about his actions before performing them, otherwise he could find himself in a whole lot of legal trouble.

  • Streamer dragged out of room by police during live broadcast – Dexerto

Streamer dragged out of room by police during live broadcast Finnish police forcibly removed a streamer out of his room while he was broadcasting, following an alleged incident that took place earlier on October 5. Many popular streamers have experienced police interference while broadcasting to their fans, although it is usually caused by a viewer sending law enforcement to their house, known as “swatting”. However, for this Finnish streamer and his friend, the visit from the local authorities was apparently due to his own actions earlier in the stream. The streamer can be seen letting police into his apartment before returning to his setup and waiting for them to approach him. According to rough translations provided by viewers of the stream, the police informed the streamer that they were contacted about an incident that took place in Alko, a popular alcohol retail store in Finland. It was claimed that the store had refused to serve the two men in the clip, as they were apparently already intoxicated, and the men then allegedly refused to leave the store until the police were called by the cashier. Note that these translations cannot be verified at this time. After a bit of back and forth, the police eventually decided they would be taking him in to prevent the streamer from possibly causing any further disturbances in his supposed drunken state. The streamer showed some hesitation to leaving willingly, and the two cops then dragged him out of the room where his stream setup was located, followed closely by his friend, before they were likely brought to the local police station. This is not the first time someone was interrupted by police while broadcasting to their viewers recently, as another streamer panicked after realizing he had been swatted. However, not all livestreamers have had a tough time with the cops, as popular IRL streamer KiaraaKitty learned after being ‘stream sniped’ by a fan of hers who was in the police force.

  • Streamer duo jokingly refuse to finish Mortal Kombat 11 unless viewers donate money – Dexerto

Streamer duo jokingly refuse to finish Mortal Kombat 11 unless viewers donate money Twitch: JandTre / NeatherRealm StudiosTwo brothers who were streaming Mortal Kombat 11 on Twitch jokingly refused to continue playing the game unless they received donations from the audience who was watching them play. Mortal Kombat 11 officially released on Tuesday, April 23, with fighting game fans across the world excited to get their hands on the title and battle against some of the game’s characters. Many weren’t able to play the game the moment it released though, turning instead to Twitch to watch content creators try and complete the game, with one set of brothers having some fun with their chat saying that they weren’t going to finish the game on stream unless the audience paid for it. What did TreandJ say? With Mortal Kombat 11 about to reach its conclusion, viewers of the stream were excited to see what would happen at the end of the game. However, Tremell and Justin had been streaming for almost 14 hours at this point, yawning and making it clear that they were tired. Tremell stated: “I want to get off man. We ain’t got no subs, I think we should just stop.” Justin joked in reply: “That’s what I’m saying man. We ain’t got no gifted subs or nothing! I think we’re going to have to get some gifted subs or something.” The pair continued to discuss that they wanted to end the stream, before eventually declaring: “If we get a hot $20, nah $30? $40? We got a hot $20, we’ll keep going. It’s been nearly 14 hours, a hot $20.” The pair claim then joked that they “weren’t asking for much, just $20,” stating that gifted subs which had been sent to the streamers during the discussion were no longer enough. “We’ve been making you laugh,” said Tremell. “We’ve been over-entertaining today.” Did TreandJ play on? After minutes of the pair demanding cash from their viewers to finish Mortal Kombat 11, two members of their audience finally caved and donated $20 each, with the Tremell saying: “This is how you all treat your entertainers? They sit here and do all this hard work? We’re broke? Nah, I don’t want to hear that.” After receiving the $40 for the two viewers, TreandJ did eventually restart the game and played the final chapter, and while their supporters were happy to see the stream continue, Reddit users who saw the clip labelled the pair as “ungrateful” and stated that they “hoped they never made any more money from Twitch.”

  • Streamer DizzyKitten blows minds with hilarious anime girl impression – Dexerto

Streamer DizzyKitten blows minds with hilarious anime girl impression Twitch streamer “DizzyKitten” shocked and awed her chat after she pulled off a remarkable impression of an anime character during a live broadcast. The ASMR streamer received a ten dollar donation from fellow streamer “Knut,” asking her to say, “Thank you for the donation to Knut ayaya,” or something along those lines, so he could clip and record it. Before she could get to it, the streamer had to mentally prepare herself by clearing her throat and getting all the laughter out of her system. Not too long later, however, she unleashed a superb anime-sounding voice. “I need to prepare myself,” she said normally before flipping the switch and talking like a dubbed Japanese cartoon character. “And I need to do the voice for a moment so I can get into the vibe of it.” After speaking like an anime character for a moment, she let out a chuckle and continued. Meanwhile, Twitch chat was awfully impressed, typing “WOW” and “damn, that’s pretty nice.” “Thank you for the donation, Knut,” the streamer said in the anime voice. “Ayaya.” DizzyKitten was not happy with her first take though, and in her regular voice told chat she wanted to try again. “Let me try one more time,” she remarked. “I have to [breathe] clear the throat,” she said. Meanwhile, one confused chat member asked what exactly the voice was. “It’s my anime voice,” the ASMR streamer giggled. “Yeah, we’re going to do a take-two,” she said jumping back to her impression. After going it another go, she was able to do the impression up to her own standards, even repeating the “ayaya” line twice. Streamer Djarii Wrongly Banned From Twitch For Broadcasting KSI vs Logan Paul Twitter / DjariiPopular UK streamer Sophia ‘Djarii’ White founder herself banned from Twitch for 24 hours after being falsely accused of streaming the KSI vs Logan Paul fight. In fact, at the time of the bout between the two hugely successful YouTubers, Djarii wasn’t even watching the fight, but actually live streaming herself playing World of Warcraft. Taking to Twitter on Sunday, August 26th, the 24-year-old posted a screenshot of an email she received from Twitch, informing her that she had been issued a copyright strike against her channel, and that she would be unable to stream for a 24 hour period. Not sure why I’ve suddenly been banned for copyright infringing???? @Twitch @twitchsupport never even rebroadcasted this match, I’ve been playing WoW all day? Understandably, Djarii was annoyed by the false claim against her, and immediately filed a counter notice to Twitch, who reinstated her account. I’m unbanned boiiiz. Had to file a DMCA counter notice since @OP_Talent FALSELY had my channel banned. Now I’m finally upbanned you can enjoy the World of Warcraft gameplay that summarises the VOD yesterday. 🙂 All the love to @ShengAtLaw > OP Talent Management, who issued the DMCA takedown against Djarii, have since taken to Twitter to confirm that the error was made by a Content ID Company working on their behalf, and have apologised to White for the mistake. While Djarii was falsely accused of rebroadcasting the KSI vs Logan Paul event, plenty of other Twitch streamers used the service to stream the fight to large numbers of viewers.

  • Streamer denied Twitch partner 23 times despite 500K followers gets offer from Kick – Dexerto

Streamer denied Twitch partner 23 times despite 500K followers gets offer from Kick Twitch/DoaenelA streamer with over 500,000 followers has received an offer to move to Kick after Twitch denied his partner application a whopping 23 times. Twitch streamer Dantes, formerly known by his inappropriate user name ‘Doaenel’ has had a long history of trying to become an official partner on the Amazon-owned streaming site with no luck. Throughout the years, Dantes, a League of Legends streamer, has frequently applied and been rejected by Twitch even though he’s grown his channel into a juggernaut with over half a million followers. On May 22, Dantes had the last straw after his 23rd application to become a Twitch partner was denied, leading him to ask Kick and its co-owner Trainwreck to help him out in moving to the rival service. Streamer gets Kick offer after 23rd Twitch partner rejection In a post on Twitter, Dantes uploaded a screenshot of the platform denying his application, remarking how 500,000 followers and an average viewership of 4,000 was “enough for Twitch.” After tagging Kick and Trainwreck saying his DMs were open, the official Kick account responded with an eyes emoji and soon thereafter, he actually got a message from the site. “Hey, we’d love to have you on Kick,” the rival site said, adding a green heart for good measure. This excited Dantes who shared the screenshot with his viewers, remarking how “it’s happening.” So far, however, Dantes still has Twitch in his bio and it’s not clear if he’s working with Kick on arranging some sort of exclusive deal, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds. The news comes as the world still awaits a monster Kick signing as teased by Trainwreck and Adin Ross, but in the meantime, the newest site is continuing to add to its roster and it looks like Dantes could be the latest to jump ship.

  • Streamer devastated after accidentally running away from shiny Pokemon – Dexerto

Streamer devastated after accidentally running away from shiny Pokemon Twitch streamer Fizziberry thought she was running away from an ordinary Seedot in Pokemon Sword and Shield, but couldn’t believe what she’d just walked away from after realizing it was actually a rare shiny variant. Outside of completing the game and taking down gym leaders, Pokemon has one very simple goal – catch ‘em all. Some Pokemon, though, are harder to find than others and if you really want to set your collection apart, a way of doing that is collecting shinies. Running into a shiny Pokemon, though, requires some luck as the odds of doing so are rather slim and you do need to be paying attention. So, it’s quite a spectacular fail when you choose to run away from one without even battling it. During her December 5 stream, Fizziberry had been searching around for some Pokemon when she was greeted with a battle from a Seedot. The wild Pokemon had the all-important shiny animation pop up, but the streamer must not have realized and decided to ditch anyway. It took a minute for her to notice what had happened, once her chat alerted her to it being a shiny. She gasped: “Was that a shiny?” The streamer immediately threw her Nintendo Switch controller in front of her mouth as she watched her chat fill up with shock. After a few moments of keeping the controller pinned against her mouth, Fizziberry finally broke her silence. “I didn’t know it was a shiny,” she said. “I didn’t know it was a shiny, they should have made that very clear that was a shiny!” Her viewers immediately tried to point out the differences between regular poke’s and shiny ones, but the streamer still couldn’t believe what had happened. “I don’t know, I didn’t really think about it,” she added. Despite that, the streamer didn’t rage quit or give up. Instead, she decided to dive back into playing the game and headed into a Dynamax fight alongside some fellow trainers. However, she still couldn’t get over what had happened. “I made a mistake, I made a mistake,” the streamer said while looking off-camera. “That was the first time I’ve ever run into a shiny. Wait, I’m really sad. That was the first shiny I ever saw and I ran away from it.” Ultimately, the streamer appeared to get over her mishap and carried on streaming for a few more hours. Maybe this moment will serve as a warning to always keep your eyes on the screen as you never know when your luck is going to come in and you’ll find a shiny Pokemon. With the odds stacked against trainers looking to find one, running away is certainly a huge mistake.

  • Streamer deletes Twitch after clip of him screaming at crying child goes viral – Dexerto

Streamer deletes Twitch after clip of him screaming at crying child goes viral TwitchA Madden Twitch streamer has deleted all of his social media accounts after a disturbing clip, which showed him screaming in a child’s face, went viral online. [jwplayer Y7PB7YwV] On January 21, the clip of the streamer – who has since been identified as ‘buckkerz’ – surfaced online and quickly spread throughout the internet. The short, 28-second clip begins with the streamer playing Madden as a child sits on his lap. Within moments, he is seen slamming his controller on his desk and screaming. “Godddamn it!” he shouts, which appears to upset the kid. “Three-hundred dollar fucking controller!” https://twitter.com/KBoomhauer/status/1352461885552029696 At this point, the child starts crying, causing buckkerz to put him down. “Can I fucking press pause?!” he asks, referencing his faulty controller. “Just sit right here,” he tells the child. “I’ve got to go. I’m about to fucking lose it.” It’s unclear who he was talking to on the other end, but shortly thereafter, the video takes a turn for the worst as the young boy cries loudly. The clip ends with buckkerz turning around and yelling, “Shut the fuck up,” right in the kid’s face. Once the video started to spread, screengrabs appeared online of buckkerz renaming his Twitch videos to “imsorry1234556.” According to the screenshots from the now-deleted Twitch account, the streamer is a “father and husband,” but it’s unclear if the child in the video is his own. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1352490465023549446 In addition to deleting Twitch, it seems like the user purged his Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well. It will be interesting to see how Twitch handles the clip, and if they implement a ban on the account, even though it has already been deleted. Users have also credited the Twitter account ‘KBoomhauer’ for bringing attention to the clip. It was originally posted with the caption, “Zoomer parenting,” and has since been reuploaded to many other sites. In any case, parents or streamers with young children should know better than to literally scream in their faces over a video game controller.

Ranking Ludwig, Pokimane and MoistCr1tikal’s felines YouTube: Ludwig, penguinz0 / Twitter: pokimanelolStar streamers Ludwig, Pokimane, and MoistCr1tikal all got kittens around the same time. All three of these cats are certainly cute — but which feline is the best? Streamers might be the stars of their own live internet shows, but let’s be honest — their pets are also a pretty big draw. Sometimes animals can completely turn a broadcast upside down. Other times they totally steal the show and make for an unforgettable viewing experience. Some of the internet’s top streamers are pet lovers. For the sake of this totally unnecessary and overly-analytical article, we’ll be focusing on three streamers in particular: Ludwig, Pokimane, and MoistCr1tikal. All three of these personalities have acquired a feline friend in recent months. Twitch star Pokimane showed off her new kitten, Beau, in April, while MoistCritikal unveiled his rescue baby, Io, in May. But perhaps the most prominent kitten reveal came from YouTube star Ludwig. In May, Ludwig broke the internet by asking his fanbase to name his pet kitten. The white Scottish Fold has eyes that bore deep into your soul, and often has its very own kitty cam on Ludwig’s streams. Ludwig’s chat eventually voted to name his adorable feline ‘Coots’ in a broadcast that took over social media — and the cat has become a veritable internet star who accompanies its dad on broadcasts and steals all his shine. Although Coots is cute, we can’t rule out baby Beau, either. Pokimane got the kitten as a sibling for her older cat Mimi, and the internet simply couldn’t handle his cuteness. The orange-and-cream kitty is the perfect wild card for Poki’s streams and often play-fights with his big sis in the background. Adorable, right? Don’t gloss over MoistCr1tikal’s kitten, Io, though. Her rescue story is the kind of eye-watering stuff you see on Geobeats; she was found in a box of newborn kittens that showed up at the vet clinic where Critikal’s girlfriend works. Born with a medical condition that required surgery to correct, Io was taken in by Critikal and his girlfriend after being fostered to build up her strength. Critikal has dubbed his kitten “the cutest cat in the world” and even claimed that Io caused him to “black out from cuteness.” Who can beat that? Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that we can’t crown a winner. All three of these cats are simply too cute for words. They’re clearly loved by their pet parents and have become recurring characters on their live streams. To name a winner would be abhorrent — so they all get the title of cutest stream kitty by this writer’s judgement.

  • Dakotaz explains why Ninja is wrong about streamers being too negative – Dexerto

Dakotaz explains why Ninja is wrong about streamers being too negative Twitch: Ninja/DakotazBrett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman has criticized fellow streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, over his comments on how influencers can sway audience opinion and complain about Epic Games. Back in April, Ninja lashed out at other Fortnite Battle Royale influencers, as they criticized the direction Epic Games is taking their game. Much of the criticism related to the their refusal to reinstate health on elimination and an increased farming rate. Criticism of the battle royale has continued, over their decision to nerf the new burst-SMG and to vault the pump shotgun. The two are friends, but Dakotaz argued that “Ninja is out here acting like people can’t think for themselves.” Many of Ninja’s original comments argued that influencers were spreading negativity throughout their fanbases, who would then blindly agree with what was being said. He said it would make more of a statement if they were to just completely stop playing. Dakotaz, however, made clear that he disagrees, while streaming on May 31. “I know Ninja said it before,” he said. “That like, followers follow their streamers and you can’t just complain about everything – that’s how a game dies. It’s like bro, you can say what you wanna say. That’s not how games die, games die because the creators of the game are trash, period.” “If I said ‘jump off a bridge’ not everyone about to jump off a bridge,” he continued. “Will there be some people that side with the opinion? Probably. But as long as the person is speaking facts, that’s why people follow it. Because, it makes sense.” Dakotaz is someone who is clearly not afraid to criticize Epic, at least when he feels that they are taking their game in the wrong direction. Update: In response to this article, Dakotaz has actually said that Ninja’s YouTube video on the debate has convinced him somewhat, although says he still stands by what he said about the game itself. Ninja changed my mind in his latest YouTube. I guess influencers can influence each other also.. I stand behind everything I said about the game though. :pretentious::pretentious: https://t.co/FCPrSz2h7B — dk (@dakotaz) June 1, 2019 Ninja too has voiced his opinions of the game throughout its life, both positive and negative, although is noticeably more careful about his wording, and will often try to help his viewers understand Epic’s reasoning for certain decisions. • Streamer confronted by man holding knife during IRL stream in Paris – Dexerto

Streamer confronted by man holding knife during IRL stream in Paris KnutTwitch streamer Knut was approached by a man appearing to be carrying a knife during a late-night IRL stream in Paris. IRL streams have become increasingly popular over the last couple of years on Twitch. Although, despite them being proven to be considerably dangerous, with streamers frequently being robbed, harassed, and even threatened for their lives, it certainly doesn’t deter creators from doing them. In a recent live stream after attending TwitchCon Paris, streamer Knut was approached by a man on the street who was concerned they were being filmed, who also appeared to be carrying a weapon. Knut approached by man with knife in IRL Paris stream While walking back to his hotel late at night, the 34-year-old was confronted by a man who turned and began to follow Knut and his group as they briefly passed by. “What is this bro?” the man can be heard asking the streamer, questioning why he’s holding a camera. “Twitch,” Knut replied. The streamer started to de-escalate the situation, explaining to the dubious man that he was only filming himself. “No, no, myself. That’s why I’m turning… no I’m not filming you, no.” As the two parted ways, Knut explained to his viewers that he was only filming himself, and pointed the camera in the other direction as he noticed the man looming behind. “I wasn’t filming him, I was pointing it at myself until he came up,” he explained. A couple of minutes later in the stream, Knut revealed that the man actually had a weapon concealed. “That guy was one of those brain-dead dumbasses. I’m not sure what he was even trying to do, ‘are you filming everyone’ when I was walking like this on purpose.” He added: “I’m a master of de-escalating situations. He was trying to be threatening, he was for sure looking for danger. And he was showing off he also had a weapon, did you see that? In the package he was holding in his hand… a knife.” Thankfully, the streamer and his friends all made it back to their hotel safely.

  • Streamer cries at TwitchCon because she “has to pee” – Dexerto

Streamer cries at TwitchCon because she “has to pee” FreepikTwitchCon 2019 is finally upon us, with top streamers from across the globe gathering in one place for an action-packed weekend of live streamed shenanigans – but one streamer was so moved by the festivities that she found herself in tears. TwitchCon 2019 is throwing down in San Diego, California, with online personalities from all around the world making an appearance at the site’s biggest meetup of the year. The gravity of this event was not lost on one Twitch streamer, who had an emotional reaction to taking part in the festivities – as well as a major host from a fellow broadcaster. Popular Korean streamers “HAchubby” and “Angelskimi” sent a 10k raid toward the streamer, who teared up at their huge act of kindness. Combined with traveling to a massive event like TwitchCon for the first time, it makes sense that just about anyone would get a bit emotional. This caused the streamer to openly weep in public as she walked down the street, prompting a concerned reaction from fellow streamer “Yuber,” who stopped in his tracks to check up on the situation. “Why are you crying?” Yuber asked. “Are you alright?” “I’m okay,” she answered with a smile. “I’m happy.” However, due to her accent, the streamer almost sounds like she’s saying “have [to] pee” – prompting Yuber to ask, “You have to pee?” in a hilarious segment that cracked her up (along with anyone else watching the exchange). “No – happy, happy!” she clarified. “Happy cry.” The streamer went on to state that this was her first time attending TwitchCon, explaining her emotional response. However, not everyone is pleased with this year’s event: in fact, multiple attendees expressed outrage over the Twitch Partner party on September 26, noting that a slew of drinks were left unattended at the bar – allowing anyone with bad intentions to drug the drinks, given the chance. Pretty disappointed tbh, I thought Twitch was starting to understand that some of us want the option of a quieter place for the partner party instead of a huge, loud party. Also THIS is a huge safety concern, how is this the way you’re serving drinks….. pic.twitter.com/e0OfhRbLhT — Anne Munition @ TwitchCon (@AnneMunition) September 27, 2019 “It’s a huge health and safety concern,” streamer Anne Munition wrote. “…I’ve heard many stories from friends and other partners about being drugged at past partner parties.” Despite this controversy, it’s no secret that a massive showdown like TwitchCon can be a positive experience for congoers, as seen in the streamer’s weepy response to finally attending the event for the very first time.

  • Streamer completely loses it and smashes keyboard after DayZ death – Dexerto

Streamer completely loses it and smashes keyboard after DayZ death Twitch streamer KoogslyKrib was surrounded by enemies and ended up dying in DayZ, which led him to furiously hit his keyboard and dive into his bed behind him. DayZ may have released back in 2013 but it still has a pretty healthy playerbase, up 8.20% over the past 30 days even, thanks to numerous updates over the years. It’s actually still a semi-popular game on Twitch thanks to the sheer randomness it can offer. However, anyone who has ever played this open-world survival game knows how frustrating it can and it reached a boiling point for this streamer after he was killed by a horde of enemies. After being cornered in a room, Krib tried to escape but couldn’t quite manage it and quickly succumbed to the zombies around him. Instead of staying composed, he slammed down on his keyboard numerous times before standing up, removing his headset, and then diving onto the bed behind him. Luckily, he was able to get right back to streaming as there wasn’t a ton of major damage done. Hitting your streaming setup like that isn’t the best idea as that table will be holding a lot of expensive items. All things considered, it’s not close the worst rage we’ve seen before as others before him have completely obliterated keyboards, so this one was a bit tamer. DayZ has actually started to gain some more popularity of late thanks to some big streamers playing the game, notably LIRIK. In fact, LIRIK has found himself in a couple of hilarious situations, like a time when two stream snipers played themselves tried to harass him. The massive Twitch streamer ran into several frustrating moments to be sure, but the difference was he didn’t smash anything. Lucky for his keyboard, KoogslyKrib got all of his anger out so he probably won’t be smashing it again any time soon.

  • Streamer who finally cleaned room after 14 years relapses due to WoW Classic – Dexerto

Streamer who finally cleaned room after 14 years relapses due to WoW Classic Twitch: JaegerrmeisterTwitch streamer Jaegerrmeister, who once had possibly the dirtiest room in the world, has gone back to his old ways – and he’s blaming WoW Classic for being the problem. Back in early June, Jaegerrmeister stunned viewers after revealing that he hadn’t cleaned his bedroom since 2005 and had accumulated a huge pile of trash around him in that time. With images of the room going viral and onlookers feeling a little sick, the streamer threw on some cleaning gloves, grabbed a few trash bags, and finally removed all of the garbage – even showing off a stunning timelapse of the clean-up process. However, he’s since let it all slip and it appears as if WoW Classic is being blamed. Jaegerrmeister had not cleaned his room in over a decade before showing it off on-stream. During his September 12 broadcast, the streamer had been playing the hugely popular Blizzard MMO when viewers asked if his room was still clean. Last time they saw, it was pretty much spotless. “Let’s see the room? Hey, you don’t want to see the room,” the streamer said, with a grin on his face. “You can clean the room, you can’t clean the lifestyle dude. I fucking got back on this classic WoW shit – dude, my room absolutely went to hell, I’m going to be honest,” he added. “Let’s see it? Son, you don’t want to see it.” However, after the repeated teases, it didn’t take all that long for Jaegerrmeister to reveal the new piles of garbage on his floor. “Alright, here it is – that’s basically what’s happening,” the streamer said as he showed off a few layers of emptied boxes, bottles, cups, and fast food bags – all just left on the ground around him. With viewers disgusted by what they saw, they questioned if the streamer was going to take the same steps as last time and clean the room on-stream. “Dude! More content, I get to clean my room on-stream again, hooray,” he said sarcastically. Yet, anyone who might be excited to tune in for that will be left disappointed. A few moments later, Jaegerrmeister added: “I actually don’t think I’m going to clean my room on-stream again, to be honest.” Of course, the streamer’s stance might just change if this moment goes as viral as his last, but that remains up in the air just yet. Either way, he probably needs to get around to cleaning some of the trash up – you never know what could be laying underneath those top layers.

  • CodeMiko banned on Twitch for third time, but returning to platform soon – Dexerto

CodeMiko banned on Twitch for third time, but returning to platform soon Twitch: CodeMikoPopular virtual streamer CodeMiko has been banned from Twitch for the third time – but has stated she will be ‘back soon’ and denying rumors that the ban was caused by her using the word ‘simp.’ Over the years, Twitch streamers have come up with different ways to stand out from the crowd instead of just being world-class at certain games. Some have ramped up production in a major way and you can’t really take your eyes off it. That includes VTubers and virtual streamers too, who use a digital avatar, editing, and even in some cases, a motion capture suit, to replace themselves on-screen and take on a different persona. In the last few weeks, Codemiko – a streamer who takes the VTuber concept to a whole new level – has been getting massive numbers on Twitch. However, she’s now been banned – for the third time. Why was CodeMiko banned? The ban came on January 19, but the specifics around why CodeMiko had been suspended by Twitch were unclear. Read More: How to get your 2020 Twitch Recap – The reason for the ban, or its length, is unknown but some fans were quick to speculate on the reason. Some suggested that it was because she used the word Simp – which was recently banned by Twitch. On January 21, CodeMiko clarified that this was not the case, stating simply: “It’s not because of the word ‘simp.’” She then dove a bit deeper into the suspension, saying she accidentally revealed a streamer’s private information. “A female streamer and I were talking about female harassment online and I asked her what was the worst comment she had ever received. When I saw the email, it was pretty bad and was more like a threat than a comment,” she said in a TwitLonger. “From my experience, threats are almost never sent from a user’s actual email address, but throwing up the screenshot got me banned. I only wanted to shine the light on harassment that streamers face and did not mean to violate terms.” This would be her third ban, previously being banned twice in September of 2020. However, a streamer usually has to be banned three times within a three month period to rack up a permanent ban. She will be returning on February 5 with a game-show style stream, inviting some of the biggest Twitch streamers along. More details will be revealed at a later date.

  • Streamer claims Twitch banned him for false report of bathroom broadcast – Dexerto

Streamer claims Twitch banned him for false report of bathroom broadcast ESLTwitch streamer ‘AndyPyro’ is accusing the platform of banning him over a false report of allegedly streaming in a washroom. On June 26, the Finnish streamer was banned on for the second time on the site this month. The first time was allegedly for giving his camera to a viewer who “couldn’t keep the camera out of [his] beautiful buttocks” while drinking shots. While Andy accepted his first ban admitted to taking his punishment “like a man,” this new suspension has left the streamer frustrated. Taking to Twitter to protest his innocence, the streamer revealed he had been banned for a whopping fourteen days for allegedly recording in a public washroom. Andy denies streaming in a public bathroom According to Andy, it “never f**king happened” and he was banned over a false report. “We went go-karting, and there’s locked doors for your f**king property that you leave before you go go-karting,” he explained while sitting inside of his car. Speaking with Dexerto, Andy claimed he was in a lobby-like area before going karting, and not a public restroom. He added, however, that there were two different situations; one involving a private restroom in a town and another time in a locker room, though they don’t seem connected to this current ban. “What the actual f**k? Fourteen days for a false report of being in a washroom or invasion,” he continued. “It was a public space, we had every permission to record there. Thank you.” In a follow-up tweet, Andy wrote that he was “logging off” and wished his viewers a nice summer. “I [would] rather be not streaming than take stupid chances to be banned permanently just because some assholes wanna see other people [suffer].” Because i rather be not streaming than take stupid chances to be banned permamentlyjust because some assholes wanna see other people suffee. — 𝕬𝖓𝖉𝖞𝖕𝖞𝖗𝖔 💸 (@RealAndyPyro) June 26, 2020 Andy believes he was falsely reported out of jealousy. “As I’m the biggest streamer in Finland, this is the country of jealousy,” he said. “If I make a mistake, people take advantage of it.” Twitch has a zero-tolerance policy about streaming in bathrooms. Most notably, legendary streamer Dr Disrespect was banned after he streamed in a washroom at E3 2019. It will be interesting to see if Twitch reevaluates its decision to ban AndyPyro for fourteen days, but so far, it’s looking like he will have to live with taking a fortnight off of streaming.

  • Streamer claims Twitch owes her $1,000 from Ad Incentive program and isn’t responding – Dexerto

Streamer claims Twitch owes her $1,000 from Ad Incentive program and isn’t responding Instagram: HeyArtiieA Twitch streamer by the name of Artie is claiming that Twitch owes her $1,000 from the Ad Incentive program, and the platform’s not responding to her cries for help. Back in August 2022, Twitch launched a program to incentivize its partners to run more ads during their broadcasts. It allows creators to make a certain amount of money with stream time and ad break requirements, resulting in hundreds or thousands of dollars a month in income. It’s prorated, as well, meaning those who only complete 50% of their agreement still receive payment. Twitch partner Artie claims that the platform still owes her $1,000 from her latest agreement, and the platform’s support team is not responding to her. Twitch streamer Artie claims platform owes her money On January 26, Artie posted on Twitter calling for Twitch support to help with her situation. “Twitch isn’t paying me for the ad incentive program. I’ve reached out through discords and partner support with no answer. This is supposed to be ‘reliable’ income and now I am f*cked,” she said. “Twitch Support this needs to be looked into.” Artie told Dexerto that for her January Ad Incentive, she was offered $1,600 to stream for 184 hours with six minutes of ads per hour of the stream. However, after streaming for 156 hours with the proper ad breaks, Artie shared with us proof that Twitch is only showing that she’s earned $205, meaning she’s still owed money due to it being improperly prorated. With 156 hours being the majority of her 184-hour agreement, her dashboard should be showing upwards of roughly $1,300 if it was being properly prorated. Artie also says that any attempts to reach out for help so far have resulted in automated emails that don’t address the issue, or worse yet — no response at all. Dexerto has reached out to Twitch for comment and will update this article with any updates. In the meantime, you can head over and check out more entertainment news and other viral stories.

  • Streamer claims she was roofied while in San Diego for TwitchCon – Dexerto

Streamer claims she was roofied while in San Diego for TwitchCon TwitchTwitchCon 2019 is underway in San Diego, California, bringing with it some of the platform’s biggest entertainers – but not every attendee is having the time of their lives. TwitchCon stands as one of the site’s largest gatherings of the year, bringing top streamers and fans from across the globe to a single location to celebrate one of the net’s biggest live streaming platforms. Despite being a time for communion and fellowship with other streamers and fans, this year’s TwitchCon has already been met with some contention – and one broadcaster may have almost lost her life at a party going down while the event is in town. https://www.flickr.com/photos/stevendepolo/7647150980Streamer “KTLODO” posted a Tweet on the morning of September 28 claiming that she had been roofied at a party in San Diego, stating that a toxin report had come back with traces of benzodiazepines – a class of tranquilizer that can be deadly when mixed with alcohol. “So last night I got roofied,” she wrote. “…Thankfully my friends were there for me and saved my life. I don’t think I’ll be around the rest of TwitchCon. Hope you understand.” So last night I got roofied. Toxins came back with benzos in my system which combined with alcohol could’ve meant death. • Streamer claims she can’t get banned; receives swift ban for violation – Dexerto

Streamer claims she can’t get banned; receives swift ban for violation A Twitch streamer who claimed she was able to show as much skin as she pleased without any repercussions was quickly proven wrong when the platform banned her channel for breaking its Terms of Service. The streamer, named Wintrycelll, was playing Grand Theft Auto Online during her broadcast when she claimed that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos lets her break rules regarding what she shows on Twitch, stating she had done it multiple times without punishment from Twitch. Unsurprisingly, when she put this theory to the test her channel was immediately taken down, proving that her outlandish claims were perhaps not as accurate as she believed them to be. While playing GTA V, the streamer claimed that Jeff Bezos lets her reveal herself while streaming on the platform, before bragging that she could do it right there and then and she “would never lose [her] channel.” While those she was playing with told her not to do that, Wintrycelll continued to talk, saying she had already done it for times in the past. As her fellow players continued to tell her to stop, she asked why, repeating that she had done it four times previously with no punishment, before a new voice in the game told her to do it, prompting the streamer to bare too much to the camera. You can view the clip of the interaction below, but we have edited the footage to remove the incident which took place at the end of the video. Unsurprisingly, Twitch moved quickly to quash her claims that she wouldn’t be banned from showing too much, removing her channel for the clear violation of their rules. The streaming platform enforces its rules on this type of thing strictly, banning those who even accidentally reveal more than they intended, although often for shorter periods of time that those who flagrantly ignore their Terms of Service. The streamer has yet to address her ban after making her claims that she wouldn’t be unbanned, and there’s no confirmation on the length of her ban. We’ll continue to update this article as more information becomes available.

  • Streamer claims he was banned for Twitch-approved emote – Dexerto

Streamer claims he was banned for Twitch-approved emote OgRobx, Instagram / Wikimedia commons / AppleWhile it’s one of the most popular live streaming sites on the net, Twitch is not without controversy, seeing such debacles as harassment, hate speech, and even fist fights throw down in real time. However, one streamer claims he was banned from the platform not because of an on-stream scandal, but because of his custom emote – which the site approved, itself. Twitch allows Partnered and Affiliated streamers to create their own custom emotes, which must undergo an approval process to be cleared for use. 600 Twitch’s policies prohibit emotes that promote hateful conduct, threats of violence, nudity, obscene content, and other such breaches of service – but streamer “OG Rob” doesn’t feel that his emote was worthy of a ban. Although it is sometimes used to call out racism during live streams, the “CmonBruh” emote has since taken on a double meaning, with racist viewers spamming the emote any time they hear a word resembling a racial slur – or even other insulting terms. 600Twitch has since responded to Rob’s Tweet in an email, claiming that they suspended his account “due to a mistake,” but have “retroactively declined” his emote, as it contains “inappropriate terms in the emote code” – likely due to it’s name, “ogrobNig.” LMFAOOOOOOOOOO ɪ ᴄᴀɴɴᴏᴛ ʙᴇʟɪᴇᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴍᴀɪʟ @Twitch ᴊᴜsᴛ sᴇɴᴛ ᴍᴇ. ɪғ ᴛʜᴇʏ ᴜsᴇ ᴛʜɪs “”sᴛʀɪᴋᴇ”” ᴛᴏ ᴅᴇɴʏ ᴍʏ ᴘᴀʀᴛɴᴇʀsʜɪᴘ ɪᴍᴀ ʙᴇ ᴛɪɢʜᴛ “ʜᴀʜᴀʜᴀ ᴍʏ ʙᴀᴅ ᴍʏ ɴɪɢɢᴀ ᴏᴏᴘs ʟᴏʟ”” pic.twitter.com/YLvwwT2igp — ᴏɢ ʀᴏʙ :wilted_rose: (@OGROBx) August 21, 2019 While Rob worries that this “strike” could impede his Partnership with the site, Twitch owned up to its mistake – but it looks like his emote is canned until he uses a different code.

  • Streamer claims he has coronavirus to get away from drunk man in Japan – Dexerto

Streamer claims he has coronavirus to get away from drunk man in Japan Twitch/robcdeeIRL Twitch streamer ‘robcdee’ found himself in a bit of a predicament while visiting Osaka, Japan after a drunk man wouldn’t leave him alone. Rob was walking down the street at night, minding his own business, when suddenly a man appeared out of nowhere with a drink in hand, ready to strike up a conversation. “Are you Italy?” the man asked, assuming Rob’s nationality. “I’m Africa.” “You stop,” Rob laughed, but the stranger grabbed hold of his arm. “Where are you going to hang out?” The streamer was on his way to go under a bridge in an attempt to dispose of a drink can. Japan can be notorious for its lack of garbage bins, even though littering is extremely frowned upon. “To your wife?” the drunk man asked. “Yeah, she’s under the bridge too,” Rob answered sarcastically. Try as he might, the IRL streamer was unable to get away from the man, who kept asking more and more questions and continued to touch him. “Have a good night, man. See you!” robcdee said, but the drunk man wouldn’t take the hint. He continued to ramble on, not letting the Twitch star get on with his night. “How do I get out of this?” Rob asked his chat. Just then, he had an epiphany: “I know what to say! I have coronavirus. Be careful. See you.” Just like that, finally, the streamer was able to get away from the overly-attached man. “I lied,” he laughed, confessing that he didn’t actually have the virus. The coronavirus has impacted the entire world in recent weeks, with multiple major events such as E3, the NBA season, Overwatch League and more being either canceled or suspended. At least Rob found a way to use it as a means to get out of an uncomfortable interaction. It worked well too, as the drunk man let him be after that.

  • Streamer celebrates major viewership milestone in strangest way possible – Dexerto

Streamer celebrates major viewership milestone in strangest way possible Escape From Tarkov streamer ‘Pestily’ had some rather strange reactions to hitting major viewership milestones on Twitch. Pestily is a veteran Escape From Tarkov streamer that many consider to be the face of the tactical first-person shooter on Twitch. Tarkov’s developers, Battlestate Games, recently added drops on Twitch – allowing viewers to earn in-game items by watching broadcasts. This includes weapons, gear, and other highly sought-after rare items. Thanks to this, many streamers have seen a significant increase in viewership, especially Pestily, who has been riding the wave and quickly breaking his personal records. In a relatively short amount of time, the streamer managed to break 25,000 viewers and strangely called his dad live on stream to celebrate. The two had a short chat, where the Australian told his dad to go to Twitch and look at the #1 for Tarkov, which was him. His dad simply called it “good news” before moving on to more important topics, like house chores and asking Pestily what he’s been up to. The call ended shortly after and Pestily continued with his stream. The bizarre reactions only intensified, however, as the Aussie reached another milestone, hitting 30,000 viewers, and brought his microwave into the stream. He didn’t say much about what he was doing, he simply put the microwave on his lap, placed his keyboard on it and finally spoke. “We’ll do a raid with a microwave on my lap, how about that – is that content?” His viewers seemed pretty excited about the event, spamming “microwave” and ‘pogchamps’ throughout. However, other viewers were dissatisfied and asked for the fridge instead. So far Pestily hasn’t continued his bizarre celebrations, but he has promised a “special gift” if he manages to reach 50,000 concurrent viewers. The gift has yet to be revealed, although to top the things he’s done so far will take something really special.

  • Streamer catches man throwing drink in woman’s face as TwitchCon Paris chaos continues – Dexerto

Streamer catches man throwing drink in woman’s face as TwitchCon Paris chaos continues Twitch: reydemptoAn IRL streamer caught the moment a man threw a drink in a woman’s face during an apparent argument while he was out eating lunch while taking a break from TwitchCon Paris. IRL streams (short for ‘in real life’) capture some of the wildest moments the internet has to offer. From crimes happening on-camera — like the time a purse thief snatched a woman’s bag outside a Gucci store while a streamer was broadcasting nearby — or watching fights break out in fast food restaurants in real-time, IRL streams are often the origin point for viral content. The latest incident to take place during an IRL stream happened when Twitch streamer ‘reydempto’ was dining outside on the patio of a restaurant while taking a break from TwitchCon Paris. IRL streamer catches moment man throws drink in woman’s face Reydempto is notorious for capturing wild moments during his broadcasts, and this stream was no exception. Although he was enjoying a relatively relaxing meal outdoors, his leisure was suddenly interrupted by some customers behind him. A group of four was sitting at a table behind him when, out of nowhere, one of the diners stood up and threw his drink into the face of a woman sitting opposite him. Reydempto looked back, shocked, before looking back to his camera to see what his chat was saying. One of the other diners appeared to try and diffuse the situation, while another stood up and seemed to ask the man who’d thrown his drink what the problem was. Rey then looked over at the woman and the two exchanged sympathetic glances before he covered up the camera to allow her time to towel off. “Are you okay?” Rey asked later. “He threw the drink in your face? Really? I would never do that to you. Do you wanna sit with me, instead? I’m a lot nicer.” Luckily, it looks like everything turned out alright in the end — but this isn’t the first time Redyempto has caught a shocking moment during one of his IRL streams. In May, he was chased by a man threatening to “kill” him for filming in a public park — and just two months later, he was chased by that same man again, who was eventually arrested. TwitchCon Paris has already caused chaos on a few streams, to boot; from streamers being confronted by knife-wielding strangers to some getting outright attacked, it seems there have been a lot of shocking moments captured by streamers roaming around France’s capital during this time.

  • Streamer celebrates Cuphead victory way too early, instantly regrets it – Dexerto

Streamer celebrates Cuphead victory way too early, instantly regrets it Twitch streamer Sketchy_Dentist was left red in the face after he chose to celebrate a little bit too early during his run-through of Cuphead. Streamers, be they big or small, are not averse to suffering the indignity of celebrating that slight touch too early before a game bites back and leaves you regretting your decision to celebrate a supposed ‘victory’. One game that is pretty much designed to do so is Cuphead. The cartoon run and gun title centers around boss fights, each coming with an increased level of difficulty because of the character’s abilities. Some will fire scores of items for you to dodge, while others will leave you possibly wanting to destroy your set-up because you haven’t quite fully put an enemy to the sword and they’ve returned from the grave to ruin your game. The harsh bite back of Cuphead set in for streamer Sketchy_Dentist after he tried to make a run through the game during his January 2 Twitch broadcast. The streamer set about defeating Goopy Le Grande, the first Cuphead boss to have three different forms, and as it looked like he was going to win the boss fight, Sketchy_Dentist started celebrating by bouncing along with the music. However, while the boss in question may have taken on the look of a gravestone, he slammed down quickly and ruined the almost finished fight, leaving the streamer with his head in his hands and speechless for a few moments. When he did eventually open his mouth again, Sketchy_Dentist recognized it was actually a pretty hilarious moment. “That was ridiculous. That’s f*cking funny though, that’s f*cking funny,” he said. “I thought he was dead man. Oh man,” the streamer added after realizing the game’s own description for the boss’s third form actually gave him a heads up about the surprise late attack. Thankfully, the streamer learned from the game’s tip and was able to take down the infuriating boss with his next attempt only moments later, noting that he just had to take it slow and steady. Maybe next time around he’ll wait until his win has been confirmed before getting ready to take a victory lap – even though it does provide a hilarious highlight for his viewers.

  • Streamer catches heated scuffle between taxi driver and cyclist – Dexerto

Streamer catches heated scuffle between taxi driver and cyclist Twitch: Altis_playStreamer Altis_play went viral after capturing footage of a fight nearly breaking out between a Paris taxi driver and a cyclist. A clip from a French cycling-oriented Twitch channel attracted international attention, it featured a violent confrontation between a Paris taxi driver and a cyclist. During their June 11 live stream, Altis_play captured a minor collision between a taxi and a cyclist. As the biker was stopping before a crosswalk, the taxi driving behind him had little time to react and bumped his bike due to how close they were to one another. After the cyclist and the driver exchanged a couple of words they continued to drive down the same road, pulling ahead of the streamer, before they both came to an abrupt stop and got into an argument. The taxi driver got out of the vehicle and the men started shouting at one another, and while it looked like they were ready to exchange blows bystanders stepped in to separate them. Taxi driver and cyclist get into a fight in the middle of the street Amazingly enough, one of the people spotted stopping the fight was Sandrine Rousseau, a politician who represents the 9th constituency of Paris in the National Assembly since 2022. Thankfully Sandrine, the streamer recording, and other bystanders were able to successfully break up the fight before anyone was injured. Since the clip went viral Altis took to his Twitter to somewhat explain the situation. Altis said in his Tweet that the taxi driver grabbed the cyclist while driving and that’s why they eventually got into the fight in the street. Given that the incident involved a car and a bicycle it’s good to know that no one was seriously injured. • Streamer catches horrifying moment shooter opens fire in Bangkok mall – Dexerto

Streamer catches horrifying moment shooter opens fire in Bangkok mall Afreeca TVSouth Korean streamer Barbie Jini escaped from the Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok after an active shooting took place during an IRL broadcast. On October 4, a 14-year-old gunman allegedly opened fire in the mall, killing two people and injuring five others. The incident was captured live on stream where the IRL AfreecaTV streamer was filming. In the footage, Jini was in a cafe having a drink when suddenly, shots rang out throughout the mall, causing customers to get up and run out in a panic. Jini was no exception, as she, along with hundreds of others, fled out of the mall with the streamer capturing it all happening live. Korean streamer escapes mall after gunman opens fire After getting to safety, the terrified Jini tried to catch her breath and explain the situation to her viewers, who still had no idea what was going on. “It’s so scary. People are running away again,” she said according to translations by AllKPop. Later on, she came to the realization that she could have been in the line of fire if she hadn’t been at the mall when she was, reflecting a bit more later on in the broadcast. “It really was a gun shooting. I could have been in big trouble if I had been a little late,” the AfreecaTV streamer admitted. According to Reuters, authorities charged a 14-year-old boy with premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm following the deadly shooting. Police say the suspect suffered a psychological breakdown prior to the shooting, but a court decided to place him in juvenile detention instead of a mental health facility. This is hardly the first time that a shooting has been filmed during a live broadcast. Earlier this year, a Twitch streamer pulled out his own rifle after being shot at during a drive-by.

  • Bounty hunter streamer captures Tornado during broadcast – Dexerto

Bounty hunter streamer captures Tornado during broadcast StephenFRA Twitch / Travelers.comThanks to movies like Twister, tornadoes can be very scary but that didn’t stop Twitch streamer ‘StephenFRA’ from chasing one and capturing the touchdown live on his stream. Tornadoes are definitely no joke for many people, especially those living in the part of the United States nicknamed “Tornado Alley.” However, for some people, tornado chasing is an exciting activity and we got to see the payoff for that during a stream that captured one in the midst of forming. That’s a confirmed touchdown Twitch streamer StephenFRA and a group of friends went out during a storm, seemingly in an effort to capture a tornado forming and touching down. In the below clip you can see the tornado completely form and touch the ground before the streamers decided to get back into the car. “There it is,” he said as he pointed to it touching down. “Oh, there it is again. Oh my gosh, there’s some debris. Yeah, I see it, I freaking see it.” It’s a cool sight to see if you’re out looking for one like this streamer was, but they probably aren’t all that exciting when that’s where you live and you see the destruction up close. Depending on the strength of the tornado you could be looking at anything from a few trees swaying aggressively to a complete decimation of a small town, they definitely aren’t something to take lightly. Central United States is a hotbed for tornadoes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas have all been pummeled by strong weather in recent days according to ABC News. This particular storm system has been lurking around for several days now and could even end up spawning more tornadoes due to how slow it’s moving. Forecasts predict up to six inches of rain in the upcoming days.

  • Streamer calls boyfriend shy, he instantly proves her wrong in hilarious outburst – Dexerto

Streamer calls boyfriend shy, he instantly proves her wrong in hilarious outburst Twitch: JewelTwitch streamer Jewel was hilariously upstaged by her boyfriend after claiming that her significant other was shy, only for him to quickly prove that wasn’t the case. One of the things that makes Twitch so popular among viewers and creators alike is the fact that fans can talk to their favorite stars in real time thanks to the Twitch chat, and can often be seen asking for advice or opinions on different subjects. Another draw is the idea that anything can happen while a stream is live, and that’s what viewers found out in incredibly funny fashion when Jewel got busted by her boyfriend after telling her audience that he was shy. Jewel’s boyfriend proves he’s not shy after all While streaming on May 15, Jewel was asked by a viewer on her thoughts on guys trying to pick up girls by a member of her chat, keen to gauge her opinion on what she preferred when a guy was approaching her, and if she liked cocky and confident men as one had recently joined his place of work. “I have always been attracted to the shy guys,” Jewel told the viewer. “I don’t like the loud mouth guys. So if you think that this guy is getting all the girls, I am guaranteeing you that there is at least one girl looking at you.” Clearly listening from another room, Jewel’s boyfriend David approached the door and comedically informed her how wrong she was about being attracted to shy guys, saying: “Shut your dumb ass up! I’m not no fucking shy guy!” “Yes you are,” retorted Jewel, as her boyfriend continued to deny the fact. “Why do you think girls always want to talk to you David? Because you won’t give them any attention because you’re shy!” “Because I’m alpha as fuck!” yelled her boyfriend in response, while Jewel attempted to contain her laughter. “Because I’m the top dog motherfucker! I’ll shoot a bitch in his face! I’ll cut your pussy up and make you eat it like a piece of cake!” As her boyfriend closed his door, a still giggling Jewel told her Twitch viewers: “Don’t let him fool you, he’s shy. He’s loud on the internet, but he’s fucking shy!” While Jewel maintains that her boyfriend David is a shy, retiring wallflower, it’s admittedly hard to believe her after this hilarious clip that shows he can talk with the best of them – at least when he feels like it!

  • Streamer called out for faking 1000 sub donation from Kick’s co-founder – Dexerto

Streamer called out for faking 1000 sub donation from Kick’s co-founder KickA YouTube partner and Kick streamer has admitted to faking a 1000 sub-donation via Twitter from Kick’s co-founder Ed Craven. After xQc knocked the servers out on Kick with his significant influx of viewers, Ed Craven, also known as StakeEddie on Twitter, decided to hand out 2500 subs as a thank-you. To be entered in for a chance at the Kick subs, streamers had to comment on his post apologizing for the downtime for smaller creators. Of course, those who were the lucky chosen few from Craven’s tweet posted about their good fortune once they received these donations from the icon. However, a streamer who didn’t reply to Eddie’s original tweet posted a screenshot of him getting 1000 subs with names edited into the screenshot that contained racial slurs. Streamer gets backlash for faking 1000 sub donation on Kick Kick is a relatively new site, and those who either made the switch or just began their streaming journey have found a home here. A ton of streamers have been coming to the platform and trying to stand out from the crowd. To help some streamers along, Kick co-founder Eddie decided to gift some subs to streamers he came across on the platform. eXvizual used a screenshot of another streamer’s donation from the co-founder as their own with a few tweaks made. NowYouSeeBree was actually gifted 100 subs from Craven during the event, and the initial names of the subs on eXvizual’s screenshot are identical to hers. Bree responded to the screenshot being stolen by saying “Ngl this is weird behavior. He literally stole my screenshot and is claiming it happened to him. Weird.” eXvizual confirmed it was a joke after receiving backlash on the original post by stating “I’m happy for (everyone) who got Subbed yesterday and I didn’t complain once. The world has so much hate and all I do is try and make people laugh. My last tweet was a joke, just like my pinned post. I’m aloud to try and make people laugh.” The maximum amount of subs that can be sent at one time on Kick is 100 per donation, so it was no secret this was an edited image. However, that hasn’t kept people from calling him out for using another streamer’s screenshot without her permission.

  • Streamer brings Dr Disrespect back to Twitch with a creative twist – Dexerto

Streamer brings Dr Disrespect back to Twitch with a creative twist Dr Disrespect, @HashtagmatttTwitch streamer Hashtagmattt paid tribute to Dr Disrespect with an incredible drawing of The Two Time, in a bid to see if he could get banned from the streaming platform. Dr Disrespect dominated Twitch before he was surprisingly banned and had to make the switch to YouTube. Though, he and the Champions Club are still going strong on Twitch’s rival platform. With the Doc being banned from Twitch, he’s not allowed to appear on the platform, but that hasn’t stopped some mischievous streamers from cosplaying as him before. In the case of Hashtagmattt, though, he didn’t don The Doc’s signature mullet and mustache. Instead, he penned an amazing piece of art in tribute to The Two-Time. Twitch streamer tests platform’s limits by drawing Dr Disrespect Graphic Designer and Twitch streamer @Hashtagmattt streamed his drawing process on June 3, putting together an epic interpretation of The Doc. According to Full Squad Gaming co-owner Jake Lucky, the streamer was attempting to test Twitch’s guidelines too: “This dude livestreamed himself drawing Dr Disrespect while on Twitch seeing if he would get banned.” “There was no ban and he finished the full thing,” added Lucky. The streamers guideline test comes after claims that Twitch was clamping down on creators just for mentioning Dr Disrespect. Despite these restrictions, Hastagmattt managed to finish his stream without worrying about sanctions imposed on his account. To this point, there haven’t been any repercussions either. The superb artwork continues to pick up steam across social media, with fans suggesting the streamer should be given a chance to work with The Two-Time in an official capacity. Dr Disrespect is currently working on Project Moon, which is been developed by The Doc’s own studio Midnight Society.

  • Streamer Bruce Ray calls out Twitch after being banned for saying “cracker” – Dexerto

Streamer Bruce Ray calls out Twitch after being banned for saying “cracker” YouTube: BruceDropEmOffTwitch streamer Bruce Ray, who goes by BruceDropEmOff on the platform, has had his channel suspended after using the term ‘cracker’ in chat. He has since called Twitch out for their failure to protect people of color as consistently. On December 21, Ray confirmed the cause for his channel’s ban was “for saying ‘cracker’ in a chat.” This word has been at the center of the most recent Twitch controversy, after one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, Hasan Piker, was banned for a week for claiming that the word is not racist, and using it openly on his own channel. Subsequently, two other streamers were also banned over their use of the word. Hasan’s suspension has now been lifted, and he has returned to streaming – but Twitch’s stance on the word has not changed. Bruce Ray banned over ‘cracker’ use BruceDropEmOff on Twitch had over 400,000 followers on his channel at the time of his suspension, where he plays a variety of games and often is found in the ‘Just Chatting’ section. After the ban, Ray posted screenshots of chat messages sent from his account, writing “you can’t be racist towards white people,” and “that word is not racist.” What I got banned for #FreeDEO #BlackKing pic.twitter.com/Ffphu4S62Z — Bruce Ray (@raycondones) December 21, 2021 Hasan supported Bruce, posting “Twitch needs to stop capitulating to white supremacists and those doing white identity politics, you are making the platform a worse place overall.” twitch needs to stop capitulating to white supremacists and those doing white identity politics, you are making the platform a worse place overall. #FreeDEO https://t.co/YTCJhC9f3N — hasanabi (@hasanthehun) December 21, 2021 Other streamers also backed Bruce, with QTCinderella calling the platform “big dumb dumb heads.” Yo @Twitch I gave @raycondones the pass. Please fucking unban him you big dumb dumb heads. — QTCinderella (@qtcinderella) December 21, 2021 Bruce Ray calls out Twitch Ray followed up by expressing disappointment that Twitch is not as consistent with protecting people of color, as they were with handing out bans for the use of ‘cracker.’ I wish twitch was this consistent protecting people of color. — Bruce Ray (@raycondones) December 21, 2021 Fans and others supporting Ray following the suspension have started the #FreeDEO hashtag, which was trending on Twitter on December 22. It even broke out of the Twitch community, with rapper Lil Yachty (who has streamed on Twitch before and appeared on Ray’s stream) posting with the hashtag. https://twitter.com/lilyachty/status/1473430538706993152 Twitch has not yet made a public statement about the bans for using the word, and has not responded to requests for comment. Twitch community guidelines state that “using hateful slurs, either untargeted or directed towards another individual,” is prohibited. However, it continues, “we allow certain words or terms, which might otherwise violate our policy, to be used in an empowering way or as terms of endearment when such intent is clear.” The string of bans indicates that there is a low tolerance for the term cracker on the platform.

  • Streamer breaks down after Minecraft pets meet an explosive fate – Dexerto

Streamer breaks down after Minecraft pets meet an explosive fate Twitch: lisabby / Mojang / MicrosoftA Twitch streamer became distraught after her Minecraft sheep got attacked by an infamously explosive enemy, leaving her in tears. Minecraft might be known as one of the most popular family-friendly games out there, but the sandbox title can actually be quite brutal, as players will sometimes struggle before they can survive in the world. One streamer learned this lesson the hard way when her beloved pet sheep that she was taking care of were suddenly attacked, and the intense experience caused her to break down crying. An explosive enemy Twitch streamer ‘lisabby’ was having a laid-back session in the sandbox game as she joyfully took care of her pets, when a Creeper dropped down in the background and began to move slowly towards her as she was unaware of her surroundings. She then looked up and saw the enemy flashing red to her left. “Ooh!” she yelled, while swinging her weapon at the foe. But it was too late, as the Creeper exploded on the streamer and her pet animals. “No, no, no! What the f*ck!?” she screamed, shocked by the moment before breaking down in tears after she had time to take in what had just happened to her. Holding her hands to her mouth, lisabby turned to her audience and shouted “Oh my God, my sheep!” before she surveyed the damage done to her pets living area which had caused a crater in the ground. “Come back in!” she told her pets, which were struggling to get out of the hole, before some of them climbed up to the higher ground. “Okay, I need fence. Where’s the fence? Oh my God…” she exclaimed. According to her ‘About’ page on Twitch, lisabby is from the Netherlands and only started streaming in June. Despite this, she already has hundreds of followers – no small feat for someone who’s just started out on the platform. The variety streamer’s schedule is currently “irregular” as she puts it, because she’s still attending college, and is balancing between her education and streaming. While Minecraft has been out for close to ten years now, the sandbox games recent explosion in popularity in 2019 has seen new players jumping in for the first time. However, this means that they’re having to learn the harsh lessons that many learned years ago, which provides entertainment for more seasoned viewers.

Twitch might be the home to incredible gaming skills from high-level players and global esports events, but it is also a place for anyone to broadcast – be it to 10 viewers or 10,000. The relationship between a streamer and their audience is often an incredibly strong bond, and Snugibun found out how much her fans care for her in the best way possible, when a viewer sent her a heartwarming gift that left her in tears at their genorosity, 600During the start of her August 22 broadcast, Snugibun received an amazon package and proceeded to open it live on camera. While the initial box didn’t offer many hints, she quickly got to another piece of packaging that seemed to give away the game. “I think I know what this is,” she said, before confirming her suspicions by opening the triangular-shaped box. As the gift became apparent, the streamer became incredibly emotional before fully breaking into tears as she opened the case and discovered a brand-new Viola. Snugibun didn’t have anything to say for a few moments, instead, opting to look back at her camera as she became more and more emotional at the incredible gift. Sadly for her viewers, the streamer didn’t immediately break into a performance with her new instrument, instead explaining that it needed tuning thanking the viewer for their thoughtfulness. “Murph, thank you so much,” she said, addressing one fan in particular. “I didn’t think I’d get emotional about the viola.” Snugibun also explained why she got emotional. “It was a really hard time in my childhood and a really good time as well – I really appreciate it,” she added while holding back more tears. After she had wrapped up her broadcast, the streamer even took to Twitter to inform fans who may not have seen the clip in-real time of what had happened. Snugibun also noted that, after going offline, she had already begun to get back into the swing of things by learning to play again through videos. Bun games went amazing tonight! I had so much fun playing with all of you. Today has been a great day. Tomorrow will be even better. I start hitting the books, and videos to learn to play again. I’m so excited. Sweet dreams Buns. pic.twitter.com/yBA5HFcUdt — Snugibun (@Snugibun) August 23, 2019 While she may not have played it during her broadcast, Snugibun did offer a glimmer of hope to some viewers – adding that she may well play it on stream in the near future. When that will be exactly, fans will have to wait and see – but it should provide even more beautifully emotional moments.

  • Streamer breaks down in tears calling her dad after getting big donation – Dexerto

Streamer breaks down in tears calling her dad after getting big donation Twitch/thatgalpaigeeTwitch streamer ‘thatgalpaigee’ got quite emotional after a viewer decided to give her a large donation to help her buy a Nintendo Switch. The streamer was playing Minecraft and chatting with her viewers on March 25 when her eyes suddenly grew wide as a donation popped up on her screen for $154. “What the f**k just happened?” she gasped, her jaw dropping in disbelief. “Someone just donated one hundred and fifty four dollars!” “Their name was just ‘Dream!’” she told her companion. “What the f**k? I can’t even speak!” The speechless streamer’s good fortune didn’t stop there, either, as the donor gave her another $46 to make it an even $200. She was so stunned that she decided to call her dad to tell him the good news. “Hi dad,” she began. “You won’t believe what just happened! Someone donated $200.” “Who? You’re kidding me!” her father responded. “I’m not!” she proclaimed, fighting back the tears of happiness. “That’s great. Are you excited?” her dad asked, but the streamer couldn’t hold back her emotions and started to cry on camera. https://twitter.com/DreamWasTaken/status/1242765597844426752 Meanwhile, the donor was watching all of this unfold on his end, and posted her reaction to Twitter. “A random Twitch streamer had a donation goal of $200 to get a Switch, so I donated it, and her reaction was way too wholesome not to share with everyone,” he wrote. Watching a clip of the wholesome moment from his own stream, viewers can hear the donor react to her tears, who was pleasantly surprised – if a bit humored – that she phoned her father to tell him the good news. With so much negativity and uncertainty in the world at the moment, this gesture is a good reminder of the good that exists, too. Hopefully, she’ll be able to get her Switch and start streaming some Nintendo games in the future.

  • Twitch streamer breaks down after “disgusting” attack over disability – Dexerto

Twitch streamer breaks down after “disgusting” attack over disability Twitch: Aeyvi / TwitchTwitch streamer Aeyvi has hit back at “disgusting” trolls online, after she was the target of an attack over her disability, which causes stroke-like symptoms, and people saying she’s faking it. Aeyvi is a popular Elder Scrolls Online streamer, working her way up to secure a partnership with the game’s developer ZeniMax, to help promote the game. She also uses her stream to increase awareness of her disability, dysautonomia. While it’s not the only condition she suffers from, dysautonomia has left the British streamer with a vastly reduced quality of life, suffering from stroke-like attacks on a weekly basis. Her status has made her the target of online trolls, who suggest the streamer is faking her disability. However, one recent attack on Twitter left her in tears, describing the perpetrator as “the most disgusting human being I’ve ever come across in my life.” Reading out the tweet, which has since been deleted by the user, on February 4, Aeyvi broke down in tears. “‘Number three, is she disabled or have you paid her to act,” the tweet said. “‘…who has had…but can stream the next day. No one questions this, plus her face is not the face of someone who has had many strokes. Read more: Why is #StopJayStation trending? – She continued reading, before cutting the tweet off halfway to straighten the facts. “’Her face is normal. She is paralyzed from the waist down–‘ no I’m not.” “This person clearly didn’t read the description of anything,” she added. “Oh my god, this is why you don’t pick up your phone. Why are people so vicious?” Aeyvi took a break from her game to process what the tweet said, and was “totally thrown” by the out-of-left-field remarks. Sadly, that wasn’t the only message the user had for her, with the comments continuing in a thread. “‘In the video, she moves her legs without using her hands to move them. I think not. Those who open your eyes can clearly see them as they truly are due to greed. These ESO stream team members who simply seek money and attention’,” she read. The comments left the streamer feeling “sick” and on the verge of tears, before she lashed out at her attacker, trying to correct the record. “I’m not paralyzed, I’ve never told anyone that I’m paralyzed. I have dysautonomia, so this is what causes the stroke-like appearance because the blood and the oxygen gets stuck in the wrong part of the body so it can’t get to my brain, therefore my brain acts as if it’s having a stroke,” she said. “I can’t believe someone would write that. I don’t spend a year and a half in a wheelchair for fun. I don’t not leave the house for fun. I don’t have to justify every illness that I have to every single doctor until I found the right one after seven years who knew what was wrong with me. “I know that I’m allowing these people to win by being upset by this, but I find it disgusting that anyone would ever fake an illness because I feel in chronic pain and I’ve had my young life ruined by illness. My first operation was at 14. “This is why I make the videos, and someone who is that despicable–I’m sorry, I’m trying to not let it get to me but I’m so angry. The streamer apologized to her viewers for reading it, although her community comforted her throughout the entire ordeal. However, it doesn’t change the fact that attacks like these are a regular occurrence for Aeyvi. She mentioned she had received aggressive DMs from random Twitter users in the past few weeks, and said it’s likely the same person on a different account. While Aeyvi can only report the tweets and move on, she is hoping to raise awareness for her illness, as well as for others with disabilities, about their hardship. The attacks don’t get any easier to bear over time, but with every stream and every video she hopes to educate someone about her disability, and that’s all anyone could ask for.

  • Streamer breaks down in tears after Twitch takes half her money – Dexerto

Streamer breaks down in tears after Twitch takes half her money Twitch/CrunkmuffinA Twitch streamer is going viral after she broke down in tears explaining why it’s not fair for Amazon to take half of the money viewers give to her. Twitch’s subscription revenue split has been a very controversial topic for a long time, with the site operating on a 50/50 split – but it’s beginning to be too much for some streamers. Amid the controversy with Twitch’s split, other platforms have risen to compete such as Kick, which lets streamers keep 95% of what they earn, prompting a wave of former Twitch stars to jump ship. In an emotional stream, broadcaster ‘Crunkmuffin’ teared up while putting Twitch on blast for its decisions and opened up to her viewers about how it’s unfair for half her money to be taken. Streamer tears up explaining how Twitch takes her money In a post on social media, Crunkmuffin revealed how she couldn’t upgrade her content with editors because she doesn’t have enough money left over after Twitch takes half. “Dude, how about Twitch doesn’t take half the money you guys give me?” she began her rant. “I’m sorry you have to hear this. I’m sorry I have to even have this conversation on my channel. …You pay me more than enough to be here.” With tears forming in her eyes, Crunkmuffin made it clear to her fans that it wasn’t their fault she was in this position and that all the blame falls on the streaming platform. “I’m making 20k a year when the people are paying me $40k a year to be a streamer. Sh*t’s f**ked up,” she captioned the clip. In the comments, the streamer went on to slam Twitch, accusing the site of holding her back when she could be using her finances to grow and improve her content. “And this whole time I’m thinking it’s my fault for not being entertaining enough, when in reality, Twitch as a company doesn’t care. The people do.” Since the tweet went viral, Crunkmuffin has begun to stream on Kick. Whether or not a mass exodus of streamers will make Twitch rethink its ways remains to be seen, but it’s clear that streamers have more options than ever to change platforms.

Streamer Berry says she was assaulted and held captive for three days TwitchPopular streamer Berry shocked fans after allegedly revealing that she had been held captive for three days and assaulted, following her strange Twitch stream on August 14. Rising Twitch and AfreecaTV streamer Berry often goes live under the “Just Chatting” category as she is known for her conversation-based streams, such as answering questions from viewers. Fans were left concerned on August 14, after viewers reported her stream had ended under suspicious circumstances. Many suspected on Reddit and socials that she had been hacked due to strange goings-on during her stream which looked as if someone else had taken over control of her computer. A day later it was announced that the streamer had been banned on Twitch, raising further suspicions. Her Instagram appeared to be then wiped of her posts, with “strange” updates being posted to her account, further causing fans to be concerned. “She was either hacked or someone else is in control of all her accounts”, one user said. Berry breaks down what happened while she was away Posting to her Instagram account on August 17, Berry broke down the shocking events in a lengthy post to her over 200,000 followers. Firstly, she addressed her fans: “I apologize for worrying a lot of people on social media. I am not the one who uploaded the picture.” Astonishingly Berry claims she was able to escape with no further details given other than that she was able to make her way to the closest police station to report the incident, confirming: “The assailant has since been arrested.” The streamer Berry has not yet provided any further updates at the time of writing.

  • Streamer blames “jealous” Pokimane fans for Twitch ban after bizarre clip – Dexerto

Streamer blames “jealous” Pokimane fans for Twitch ban after bizarre clip Twitch / Twitch: PokimaneAfter the bizarre clip of a streamer’s strange reaction towards a selfie of Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys led to his suspension, the Australian hit out at her “jealous” fans and blamed them for the ban. On January 30, a viewer informed Pokimane of a clip that was making the rounds online in which Twitch streamer ‘Empirrre’ jokingly took one of her Twitter selfies and positioned his camera overlay so that it appeared as though he was kissing and licking her backside. While the Moroccan-Canadian found the whole thing hilarious and even got in on the joke herself by positioning her own camera feed so she could stretch out her arm and “stop” the Australian with her hand, he was later banned from the Amazon-owned platform – something he blames the 23-year-old’s “jealous” fans for. Banned after weird interaction with Pokimane picture On January 31, the 26-year-old informed his Twitter followers of the one-day suspension, and shared a partial screenshot of the email he was sent from Twitch about the ban. “I have been temporary banned on Twitch for 1 day, this is most likely due to spam reporting,” he said, stating that Poki’s reaction to the clip could have caused her fans to mass report him. “Probably out of jealousy towards [Pokimane] which [by the way] was a joke.” While the image of the email was cut off as to not show the exact reason why the platform made the decision to temporarily suspend him, it did back up the Australian’s claim that he’d been banned for one day. https://twitter.com/Empirrretv/status/1223420910012526593 While the streamer cites the Moroccan-Canadian’s viewers as a reason for the ban, Twitch’s Community Guidelines have a “suggestive” content section which, if broken, can result in punishment – including suspensions. “When reviewing this type of content or activity, we will consider its intent and context based on a number of factors including, but not limited to behavior and commentary, reaction to content, camera framing, angle, and focus,” it reads. His pretend-kissing of her rear end could have fallen under that, though it’s unclear if it actually did or whether he was indeed mass-reported by people who saw the clip. In the past, users have been met with three-day bans, 30-day, and worse for offending behavior on the streaming platform, all depending on a case-to-case basis. Read More: Logan Paul and KSI go head-to-head again – Pokimane is the top female personality on the Amazon-owned service though, so it wouldn’t be out of the question to claim a handful of her 3.87 million followers could have been offended over Empirrre’s joke – but who knows.

  • Streamer banned over her clothing begs Twitch to be “more like Mixer” – Dexerto

Streamer banned over her clothing begs Twitch to be “more like Mixer” Instagram: @shybearlive / Mixer / TwitchStreaming personality ‘ShyBear’ called out Twitch on social media after she was abruptly banned for clothing she wore during a broadcast. After being previously banned in January for a drawing, she claims that it’s “getting out of hand.” There are many things that can get a streamer banned on Twitch, from risque content to the clothing worn when going live. However, sometimes personalities are left confused when their account is suddenly taken down. This happened to ShyBear when she claimed she received a suspension for clothing that doesn’t break the rules. Upset, she took to Twitter to hit out at the Amazon-owned streaming platform. The streamer informed her viewers of the ban on March 1 with a tweet. Included in the post was a screenshot from the broadcast that supposedly triggered the suspension from Twitch. ShyBear called out the platform, claiming it was an “unfair” ban, and suggested that the site’s own staff were in broadcasts that had far worse material. “PLEASE tell me how this is sexually suggestive and deserves a suspension?! there are people wearing WAY worse with twitch staff sitting in their channels. HOW?! This is getting out of hand,” her tweet read as she tagged the platform and its support accounts. https://twitter.com/ShyBearLIVE/status/1234249868824186881 The Twitch personality then took the streaming platform to task further by calling them out on their “lack of transparency” in how they enforce the rules and suggested they be more like their rival Mixer. She even tagged the Microsoft owned company’s account. “It honestly makes me more annoyed that Twitch doesn’t respond to any emails or tweets regarding bans. Be transparent with your rules. Bule straight forward. Be more like Mixer,” she said. https://twitter.com/ShyBearLIVE/status/1234263342652514308 One of her followers theorized she might have been banned because the chest area of her top was slightly see through. The streamer replied, “Yes but there’s people who wear bathing suits and body paint. I am covering more than a lot of people.” This isn’t the first time ShyBear has believed she’s been unfairly banned. In early January, she was given a three-day ban for drawing a picture of a woman’s body. Read More: PewDiePie roasts summit1g’s “beta behavior” – According to the personality, her current suspension is less this time at only 24 hours. But despite that, the Twitch streamer is upset and calling on Amazon company to be more open with how they decide on their bans.

  • Streamer bbjess finally paid by Twitch following debt of “tens of thousands” – Dexerto

Streamer bbjess finally paid by Twitch following debt of “tens of thousands” Twitch: bbjessPopular Just Chatting streamer ‘bbjess’ revealed that she has been paid by Twitch after an alleged payment issue left her without tens of thousands of dollars. This came after she reached 10,400 subscribers for the month of October. Bbjess has enjoyed an incredible last few months on Twitch, climbing to 42,000 followers and more than 10.4k subscribers despite a short-lived 19-hour ban. The fruits of 26-year-old’s labor — more than “tens of thousands” in subscriber earnings — failed to make it to her as quickly as she expected. On November 19 she wrote: “I need your help. I need your voices. Twitch owes me tens of thousands of dollars. “My payout method is good. How can a company get away without paying employees?” I need your help. I need your voices.@Twitch owes me tens of thousands of dollars. My payout method is good. The Just Chatting star was whacked with a ban on October 20, which was eventually revealed to be due to her iconic “bbjessBoobees” emotes. The emotes were removed for “imagery of sexual content or nudity,” and Jessica was barred from Amazon’s site for a 19-hour window before it was resolved. “I know this probably isn’t the case, but since everything [payment-wise] is working on my end, it should have gone through, [so] it feels like punishment for being outspoken over being unrightfully banned,” she said. “What scares me is smaller creators have said they’re in similar boats and have gone months without getting paid. That is not an option. This is my full-time job.” “I just want proper communication,” the Twitch star told Dexerto. “It’s sad to know that after working hard to become a partner and grinding to become top 80 most-subbed, it still isn’t enough to get to talk to a human or have a manager. It’s terrifying that I just wasn’t paid, and it feels unprofessional.” Bbjess’ partnership contract with Twitch states the Amazon-owned website has a 45-day period from the end-date of each month to pay earnings. bbjess finally paid by Twitch After multiple attempts at contacting Twitch support, bbjess told Dexerto that it was a mass issue with payments for the month of October, as she and several others were sent their missing payments on December 2. The Twitch star also shared the good news on her Twitter account. 6 hour road trip done and now I’m at the hospital waiting for moms heart surgery to be done. Got some good news in the meantime. pic.twitter.com/8MyCslZvDc — bbjess 🔜 Dreamhack Dallas (@bbjessTTV) December 3, 2021 On November 22, bbjess shared that she recieved a response from Twitch stating that her payment method had been suspended. However, given the fact that she has recieved her full October payment, its safe to say that suspension has been lifted.

  • Streamer banned from Twitch over emote she’s had for 5 years – Dexerto

Streamer banned from Twitch over emote she’s had for 5 years UPDATE January 18, 2:15PM PST: Annialis has since been unbanned from Twitch after just one day. Original story below… Twitch streamer Annialis was left stunned on January 18 after being banned from the streaming platform – for an emote she has had for 5 years. Annialis is a streamer with upwards of 100,000 followers on Twitch. However, fans trying to find her channel will now be met with the infamous ‘time machine’ message that is displayed when a streamer has their account banned. It was not initially clear to Annialis why her account was banned as she went live for the first time in a month. Once the reasoning became clear, she was left with more questions than answers. On January 18 the streamer tweeted her frustration and confusion after realizing the ban was for an emote her channel has had for over 5 years. The emote was called ‘anniGasm’, and looked like this: While her initial tweet was mostly directed at Twitch, it quickly became clear that she was actually banned for a DMCA copyright infringement. Essentially, this means that an individual or company has claimed the Twitch emote Annialis has been using for over 5 years, as infringing upon their intellectual property. In cases of DMCA violations, Twitch is legally obligated to comply with the takedown request. LMAOOOOOO I HAVEN’T STREAMED IN A MONTH AND GOT SUSPENDED FROM TWITCH, FOR AN EMOTE I’VE HAD FOR 5 YEARS. BUT WE HAVE RACISTS, HOMOPHOBES AND ANIMAL ABUSERS RUNNING WILD. K Twitch. pic.twitter.com/pVAzEWe4u0 — Annialis (@AnnialisXD) January 18, 2020 For those that are mentioning the DMCA, I’ve already stated that I was in the wrong and are aware of the consequences. Please read before pulling the trigger. c: — Annialis (@AnnialisXD) January 19, 2020 After initially pointing her dismay in Twitch’s direction, a follow-up tweet explained: “I’ve already stated that I was in the wrong and am aware of the consequences. Please read before pulling the trigger.” Hassan Bhokari, accounts director at Twitch, explained that a DMCA violation is “not a normal report suspension”. “In this instance, someone filed a claim for an emote that they said didn’t belong to you, so it was removed,” he said. “If you’re saying that emote is something you had the rights to, then you can file a “counter claim notice”. Instructions for that should be on the site if you search DMCA. Hope that clears it up for you.” had the rights to, then you can file a “counter claim notice”. Instructions for that should be on the site if you search DMCA. Hope that clears it up for ya. — Hassan Bokhari (@HassanBokhari) January 19, 2020 Regardless, the streamer was left baffled by the fact that someone had put in a claim against a five year old emote. It’s possible Annialis will file a “counter claim notice”, as advised by Twitch staff, which, if successful, should then see normal service resumed on her channel.

  • Streamer banned for pretending to “play” Ngannou vs Fury fight on Twitch – Dexerto

Streamer banned for pretending to “play” Ngannou vs Fury fight on Twitch DAZNA streamer has been banned from Twitch after attempting to broadcast the highly anticipated Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou boxing match live on their stream, disguising it as gameplay. Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou went head-to-head in a combat sports crossover match on October 28. Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, stepped into the boxing ring for the first time to face Fury, an undefeated boxing champion. The fight, which many expected to be a one-sided victory for Fury, ended up being a thrilling back-and-forth battle, with Ngannou even knocking down the boxing champion at one point. In the end, Fury won a controversial split decision as many viewers around the world tuned in. One such viewer, however, went to unusual lengths to watch the stream with others, as they attempted to bypass copyright restrictions by pretending they were using a controller to play a boxing game, all while streaming the fight live on Twitch. The ruse was quickly discovered, however, as Streamerbans notified followers that BLOU had been banned from Twitch as the fight was taking place. BLOU is a popular streamer on Twitch with more than 518,000 followers and this marks their seventh ban from the platform since 2021 and the fourth this year alone. The Twitch community had hilarious reactions to the ban, with users joking about the “insane graphics” of the supposed new DLC pack for Fight Night. Others called out the questionable attempt at dodging copyright restrictions, writing, “Bro thought a controller was gonna save him.” The incident draws comparisons to the memorable example from 2017 in which another streamer, Lester Gaming, attempted to disguise live footage of UFC 218 while streaming under the EA UFC 3 category on Twitch. Lester was handed a 24-hour ban from Twitch after the incident had been shared by multiple media outlets. But that didn’t deter them from trying again in 2018, streaming an NBA playoff match while pretending to play NBA 2K18. While Twitch encourages sidecasting sports on the platform, unfortunately, many broadcasts are subject to licensing restrictions, and this was one of them. The Fury vs. Ngannou fight, being a pay-per-view exclusive event, required fans to purchase access to the official live stream through ESPN+ or DAZN, depending on their location. The PPV would cost $80 in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. However, this time, it seems BLOU’s stream provided a free, albeit illegal, alternative for fans unwilling to pay for the special event.

  • Streamer banned for viewing BTTV emote calls out Twitch for “favoritism” – Dexerto

Streamer banned for viewing BTTV emote calls out Twitch for “favoritism” YouTube/AlternateAUA Twitch streamer, who was banned for a week after viewing a BTTV emote during a broadcast, is calling out the Amazon-owned platform for favoritism and inconsistency. AlternateAU was hit with a whopping seven-day suspension on May 11 after he viewed an emote featuring two naked men spanking each other on the front page of the BTTV site. BTTV, also known as BetterTTV, is a browser extension that enhances the Twitch experience by providing new emotes and other features not found on the standard version of the site. After viewing the emote, AlternateAU was hit with a seven-day suspension – despite the fact the streamer had a clean record for three straight years. https://twitter.com/alternate_AU/status/1392047803694600193? In a YouTube video posted on May 13, the streamer blasted Twitch for its policies, claiming that it has no idea how to properly take action against terms of service violations. “They don’t even know what they should and shouldn’t be banning for and for how long!” the streamer exclaimed. “There does seem to be some form of favoritism as well, I think we can all agree on that, you know.” While the streamer insisted that he believes Twitch was, in fact, right to ban him and his judgment was poor to view it to begin with, he feels a full week is excessive given this was his first violation. “There is a problem on Twitch at the moment with what they feel is deemed as TOS and what they feel isn’t,” the streamer said. “For starters, we’ve all seen streamers in the past banned for full-blown nudity, spreading themselves. I think we all know who that is. And then they’ll get a three day ban.” Read More: Evander Holyfield wants to fight Jake Paul – AlternateAU then brought up how another streamer received a week long ban for engaging in sexual content while watching a hot tub stream, which really put his own suspension in perspective. “You’re saying [the emote is] on the same level?” the streamer rhetorically asked. “I can’t see that there.” Speaking of the hot tub meta, AlternateAU also explained that he doesn’t feel it’s good for the platform and believes those streamers are abusing a loophole that allows that type of content to begin with. Given all the controversies involving Twitch nowadays, some feel that it seems a bit overkill to ban the streamer for a full week over an emote. It’s unclear whether AlternateAU requested an appeal or tried to get the punishment reduced, but so far, it seems like the Australian will need to wait another few days to finally return to Twitch.

  • Streamer banned “by mistake” left in tears after another bizarre ban – Dexerto

Streamer banned “by mistake” left in tears after another bizarre ban Twitch: Velvet_7Korean Twitch streamer Velvet_7 broke down in tears during a broadcast on Tuesday, October 1, after receiving a third ban on her channel, only for it to be lifted an hour later by the platform. The streamer has already had major issues with the platform, receiving an indefinite ban back in August for “sexually suggestive content,” something which she denied, explaining that she made sure she wore appropriate clothing and changed up the variety of her streams. After five weeks, Twitch admitted that she had been banned by mistake and was reinstated, but for Velvet, the issues with her Twitch channel are seemingly ongoing, with her account taken down briefly on October 1. 500In an emotional stream following the reinstatement of her channel, Velvet explained that the reason for her latest ban was for using hate speech. “So I was streaming today, and I got banned for using a hateful slur,” she explained. “I didn’t know what that meant. I was talking about it on YouTube and suddenly I got unbanned from Twitch. I don’t know what’s going on.” The shock and stress of the situation ultimately became too much for Velvet, who broke down in tears during her broadcast, after spending an hour uncertain if she would ever get her channel back, or what had led to its removal. After calming down, Velvet explained why she was so upset by the ban, telling her stream: “The reason why I was panicking is because I was very, very sad and very, very confused about my suspension. I was very scared.” The streamer continued: “Suddenly I got unbanned, I didn’t know if it was true or not, and I didn’t really do anything. I just try to do my best. I don’t talk about hate speech.” For streamers, losing access to their channel means more than just no longer being able to broadcast to their viewers, but becomes a major issue for those who rely on the platform to earn a living. Velvet admitted that during her five-week ban she received no payments from Twitch, and upon her return, she had lost almost all of her paid subscribers, leading to even more monetary issues. Dexerto has reached out to Twitch for comment on the situation regarding Velvet_7.

  • Streamer Back at it Again Broadcasting NBA Playoffs Pretends to Play NBA 2K18 to Avoid Twitch Ban – Dexerto

Streamer Back at it Again Broadcasting NBA Playoffs Pretends to Play NBA 2K18 to Avoid Twitch Ban Back in December 2017, we reported on streamer ‘Lester Gaming’ – who devilishly fooled Twitch as he broadcasted a live UFC fight – while pretending to play a UFC game as cover. And now, the ingenious (although partly illegal) streamer is back at it again – this time broadcasting the NBA playoff match between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets under the guise of playing NBA game 2K18. Copyrighted content such as movies, television shows and live sports events are not typically permitted to be live streamed, however it can be difficult for a site as populated as Twitch to clamp down on every channel. As soon as one is removed, another simply pops up in its place, with live events such as the Oscar’s or major boxing and UFC fights common pitfalls. However, Lester Gaming is now a seasoned expert in avoiding the eagle eyed Twitch staff who must be working around the clock to shut down these streams as soon as they appear. So, while streaming the NBA playoff match, Lester sits controller in hand in attempt to fool any patrolling copyright hunters. Lester would even react to some of the on screen action, so to keep up appearances – even joking that he could not skip the ‘cutscenes’ when commercials were on. • Streamer Awards struck by “disheartening” cancellations from nominees and creators – Dexerto

Streamer Awards struck by “disheartening” cancellations from nominees and creators Twitch: QTCinderellaPopular Twitch streamer QTCinderella has been planning ways to make this year’s Streamer Awards bigger than last year’s, but the award show has run into some problems “disheartening” problems, according to the host herself. In 2022, QTCinderella organized the Streamer Awards, an award show made to celebrate the burgeoning industry of livestreamers on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. She has been planning yet another Streamer Awards show for 2023, and she spoke on the importance of getting people in the scene together in an interview with Dexerto: “It’s way more than just an award show. It’s the collaborations that it sparks, it’s the relationships that it sparks. It’s squashing the beef.” She thinks that having streamers be isolated can lead to “toxicity” in the scene. Unfortunately, QTCinderella has revealed that many of those who were invited to the awards show and had set up travel arrangements have since canceled, including attendees, content creators, and even nominees. QTCinderella reveals several Streamer Awards cancellations Despite some criticism from other content creators directed toward last year’s streamer awards, QTCinderella decided to put together a show for this year. She’s already invested triple what she spent last year and seems to be dedicated to putting on a good show. However, QT has revealed that she’s had several streamers and nominees at the awards cancel on her the day before the show. She didn’t name any names or out anyone who decided not to show up, but she’s feeling “disheartened” by just how many people have canceled on her. It’s impossible to say how many people decided not to attend at this point, but this has the potential to affect the show in multiple ways. QTCinderella revealed that she’s got a new category, the Streamer’s Streamer Award, that gets voted on by streamers in the audience. Voting for that could be drastically affected by the cancellations, not to mention the fact that it’s possible that a streamer who wins an award may not be there to accept it.

  • Streamer Asian Bunny in tears after 7th Twitch ban and claims they intentionally did it at Christmas – Dexerto

Streamer Asian Bunny in tears after 7th Twitch ban and claims they intentionally did it at Christmas Twitch: asianbunnyxTwitch streamer Asian Bunny (asianbunnyx) has uploaded a tearful response to her latest ban – her fourth in less than two months – claiming that someone at the platform banned her deliberately before Christmas so her appeal would not be seen. Asian Bunny is a popular streamer with over 700,000 followers on Twitch, and lately has been averaging more than 10,000 viewers. She is one of the streamers participating in the so-called ‘topless meta’ – where the streamer is supposedly bare-chested, but positions the shot to not reveal too much. Asianbunnyx was banned for a fourth time this year on December 23, and has since responded, believing that a staff member at the platform deliberately timed the ban so that her appeal would not be seen over Christmas. Asian Bunny accuses Twitch of unfair treatment In a post on X/Twitter, the streamer said, “Instead of banning me on the same day that jenfox and [Morgpie] got banned so they didn’t have to unban me the same day after, someone working at Twitch decided that they’re going to ban me right on the afternoon of Friday / start of holiday weekend.” She claims that this was done so “that no staff was going to look at the appeals until after Christmas.” “Someone KNOWINGLY did this. Because there’s way WAY worse offenses/violations happening LIVE on Twitch right now than the trivial mistake they have decided to ban me for,” Asian Bunny continued. In a tearful video attached to the post, she explained that she had told her parents she wouldn’t see them for Christmas, as she needed the revenue she makes from Twitch to pay for her house and taxes. “And now I don’t have the opportunity to work, because somebody decided that what I did was wrong, and it was wrong enough to basically throw my entire career away.” Notably, it is possible that asianbunnyx’s account has been indefinitely banned, rather than temporarily. Her channel states, “This channel is currently unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.” This is different to temporary bans, which instead say “This channel is temporarily unavailable”, instead of ‘currently’. For example, channels such as Adin Ross and Dr Disrespect, which are permanently banned, say “currently unavailable”, not “temporarily unavailable.” Other recently banned streamers, like Boogie2988, also have “temporarily unavailable” on their channel, indicating their ban will not be indefinite, unlike asianbunnyx’s channel. However, unless Asian Bunny reveals the length of the ban, it is not possible to know for sure. Twitch does not respond to request for comments regarding community guidelines violations, to protect the privacy of users.

  • Streamer asks fans to stop DMing her after Valentine’s Day comments – Dexerto

Streamer asks fans to stop DMing her after Valentine’s Day comments QuarterJade, TwitchTwitch streamer “QuarterJade” is begging fans to stop messaging her, after she made a hilarious remark in regards to their possible Valentine’s Day activities. Valentine’s Day is almost here and partnered Twitch streamer “QuarterJade” knows exactly how some of her more enthusiastic fans might be spending the romantic holiday. She joked about it in a February 11 broadcast, hinting that they might be using her photos and footage in a more inappropriate manner. With such a possibility in mind, the streamer jokingly asked her viewers for “tribute” if they had ever used her content in such a way for a Valentine’s Day “tax.” “There was a Tweet going around, and it was like, ‘If you’ve ever *** to me, you owe me a Valentine’s Day gift,’” she explained. “I think I really would like to say that. If you’ve *** to me, you guys owe me a tribute. The f**king, one dollar tribute thing. Like, yeah! What is this, content for free?” Jade’s humorous “tribute tax” spawned more than mere jokes though; the streamer later revealed that her harmless comment prompted fans to send a horde of direct messages to her social media accounts after a clip of her statement appeared on the ‘livestreamfails’ sub-Reddit. In fact, the messages were apparently so numerous that she asked her fans to stop trying to reach her in a broadcast merely a day later. “I would just like to say, if you’ve seen the clip, one: No, I do not want your money,” she clarified. “Two, I don’t want your tributes. Three, stop DMing me, okay? Just an announcement to make. I didn’t know, and I’m clarifying now!” Although her joke made for a hilarious story, her request came as the result of fans potentially breaking boundaries, which can sometimes be an issue in the online world. Other female broadcasters and personalities having reported instances of cyber-stalking and even IRL harassment due to their online fame, and it’s definitely something no one wants to have to deal with. Thankfully, Jade’s situation is relatively harmless in comparison — although she isn’t interested in fans’ “taxed” donations, for the time being.
