  • Rumble boss urges Dr Disrespect & more to join amid Kai ‘N Speed Show success – Dexerto

Rumble boss urges Dr Disrespect & more to join amid Kai ‘N Speed Show success Rumble/YouTube/DrDisrespectRumble shocked the internet by signing streaming sensations Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed to an exclusive show – and CEO Chris Pavlovski is encouraging others to join the platform, including Dr Disrespect. Video and streaming platform Rumble has seen a lot of growth in 2023, having signed Mizkif, Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed and a plethora of other creators to boost its offerings. In comparison to other rival sites, Rumble is very loose with what kind of content creators are allowed to produce – something that could be enticing to up-and-coming streamers, especially with the Kai N’ Speed Show doing big numbers. During an exclusive interview with Dexerto, Pavlovski weighed in on how Rumble plans to grow, the types of creators they’re pursuing, and “stereotypes” about content on the platform. Rumble looks to “diversify” its content with more creators like Dr Disrespect According to Pavlovski, Rumble has an “abundance” of political content at the moment, featuring the likes of Steven Crowder and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. They’re looking to expand and “diversify” their portfolio and bring on streamers that appeal to a different audience. So far, they’ve done just that in the form of the Kai N’ Speed Show, also signing JiDion and Mizkif, but the search is far from over. “We’re looking for creators in different verticals, whether it be live streaming or VOD, we’re indifferent. Obviously, we think live streaming is a big part of the future and will eventually eat into the market share of cable television, so we’re doing a lot on the show front,” he said. One of the biggest free agents at the moment is Dr Disrespect, who streams on YouTube without a contract, having been famously banned on Twitch. While rumors suggest he may switch to Kick, Rumble is throwing its name into the mix. “We would definitely love to have Dr Disrespect,” the Rumble CEO declared. “We’re interested in basically everyone that wants to create authentic content and create content without barriers.” Content creators aren’t the only ways that Rumble is growing. The platform is also currently offering UFC pay-per-views in Canada, and looks to expand on that through other sports and countries. Rumble CEO calls criticism of current content “preposterous” Pavlovski also addressed those who criticize Rumble’s political content and took aim that those who dismiss the site. When Mizkif joined the platform, there was plenty of criticism from streamers like Pokimane who called his decision “unfortunate” due to the amount of right-wing commentators and controversial figures on the site like Andrew Tate. “I know we have people on all sides of the political spectrum on Rumble. We just got the Democratic presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr live streaming on Rumble. He’s definitely not on the right. I think it’s preposterous to label people on Rumble with any sort of stereotype,” he said. That said, Pavlovski admitted that a lack of diversity with creators on the platform was a “problem”, a problem he thinks has since been rectified. “We’ve brought on a lot of different people, people that have nothing to do with politics at all. So I think that’s changed now, more so than ever.” “In 2023, most of our signings have been non-political content. We’ve signed Nitro Rallycross, Street League Skateboarding, we’ve got Power Slap. These are all massive deals for us. Anyone labeling that to be political doesn’t understand what kind of content Rumble has on its platform.” It’s going to be interesting to see how Rumble fits into the ongoing streaming wars with the competition between Twitch, Kick, and YouTube raging on. • Streaming platform Rumble responds to UK Parliament request to “penalize” Russell Brand – Dexerto

Streaming platform Rumble responds to UK Parliament request to “penalize” Russell Brand YouTube: Russell Brand/RumbleRumble’s CEO has explained why Russell Brand will not be demonetized following the sexual assault allegations made against him in a bid to protect “constitutional values”. Russell Brand has been accused of sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse by four women, with the allegations dating back to between 2006 and 2013. With an explosive documentary titled Russell Brand: In Plain Sight diving into the victims’ stories, Brand has seemingly tried to manage the situation by using conspiracy politics to dismiss the investigation against him. YouTube has since demonetized the actor’s channel to “protect the community” amid the ongoing inquiries, meaning Brand will no longer be able to make money from any adverts played on his content. Now, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski has revealed the UK Parliament reached out and asked whether Rumble would be willing to do the same. But Rumble has refused, Pavlovski insisting the company will “defend what’s right”. In an open letter shared on Twitter, Rumble responded to the Parliament by writing, “While Rumble obviously deplores sexual assault, rape, and all serious crimes… it is vital to note that recent allegations against Russell Brand have nothing to do with content on Rumble’s platform.” Stating that the company stands for “very different values” compared to YouTube, the letter continued; “We have devoted ourselves to the vital cause of defending a free internet — meaning an internet where no one arbitrarily dictates which ideas can or cannot be heard, or which citizens may or may not be entitled to a platform.” Rumble also called the UK Parliament’s request “deeply inappropriate and dangerous”, concluding with an ‘empathetic rejection’ that the company would not be joining in on “cancel culture”. Many were in support of Rumble’s stance and protection of “constitutional rights”, with one person writing, “It’s refreshing to see a company stand up for what is right and fair.” Another said, “Thank you, Chris. You are a huge part of the Information War and America owes you a huge thank you for allowing Rumble to be the place for Free Speech.” Check out all the latest TV and movie news on our page here.

  • Rudeism plays Apex Legends with a fake leg – Dexerto

Rudeism plays Apex Legends with a fake leg RudeismTwitch streamer Dylan ‘Rudeism’ Beck is known for playing games with crazy, homemade controllers, and his latest Apex Legends creation is no exception. Rudeism is known for his odd video game controllers, including an interactive teapot to play Overwatch with – arguably the most English way to play a game that’s ever been conceived. He’s also made a controller out of a Baguette and frozen pizza to play Brigitte with – playing on the hero’s popular nickname since no one knew how to pronounce “Brigitte” when she first came out. Break a leg, Rudeism The streamer revealed his latest creation of a mannequin leg covered in buttons and triggers to viewers on Monday, August 19. Rudeism’s Apex leg has motion sensors that allow it to aim in-game and enough buttons and triggers for all of your Apex Legends needs. The leg was a hit on Reddit, where it even got a response from an Apex Developer Drew ‘RespawnDeco’ McCoy (that didn’t ignite a firestorm of controversy shortly after). “I guess you’ve got a leg up on your opponents,” Deco wrote, which is what we were all thinking, but too proud to say. The leg seems to have given Rudeism some kind of luck – because he was able to become an Apex Legend in Solos mode using only the leg. We guess that makes him the first true Apex Leg-end out there (sorry, we’ll stop now). Why are people still mad about Iron Crown? Outside of Rudeism’s crazy little bubble, the Apex community has been in turmoil ever since the game’s developers changed how the shop would work during the event on Friday, August 16, and threw in a few choice words to describe certain players. This all came to a head on Monday, August 19 when Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella addressed a developer calling players “freeloaders”, among other things, on the game’s subreddit. So Rudeism may not have set the new world record for kills in a solo match with his leg controller, but it was a nice break from the Developer vs. Subreddit drama cycle players have currently found themselves in.

  • Rudeism reveals most exciting way to play Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order – Dexerto

Rudeism reveals most exciting way to play Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Popular Twitch streamer Rudeism has devised perhaps the most enjoyable way to play the brand new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order title from Respawn Entertainment. Released on November 15, Fallen Order marks the first major Star Wars video game since DICE’s Battlefront II in 2017. With a focus on narrative and singleplayer exploration, creative Twitch streamer Dylan ‘Rudeism’ Beck felt the game was ripe for some ingenuity. Known for his unorthodox control schemes, Rudeism has grown his fanbase on Twitch through some hilariously unique creations. From his immersive Goose to utilizing a fake leg for Apex Legends, there’s no limit to just how far this streamer will go and his latest Star Wars creation might make you envious. In a November 18 broadcast, Rudeism took to Twitch and demonstrated his Star Wars tools designed specifically for Fallen Order. Wielding a customized lightsaber in one hand a special glove in another, the streamer made both pieces of equipment fully function in-game. With various buttons around the grip of the lightsaber to enable movement, the rest of the input came directly from the motion of the weapon itself. Testing it out in combat, Rudeism slashed away at various enemies and pushed his hand forward at certain intervals to activate his force powers. The streamer even went as far as to mimic Luke Skywalker’s training from A New Hope, tying a layer of clothing over his eyes before picking his lightsaber back up. As a malicious droid shoots at his character in-game, Rudeism sensed the projectiles through the force and miraculously deflected them through his own lightsaber movement. Just how far players could get while blindfolded would certainly be a fascinating challenge for Star Wars enthusiasts enamored with the latest release. While there’s no officially licensed controller of the sort just yet, there’s no denying that wielding a proper lightsaber looks to be one of the more enjoyable ways to experience the latest Star Wars game. There’s no telling what ingenious peripherals Rudeism might come up with next but rest assured whether it’s a singleplayer game or a competitive shooter, the streamer will find a way to innovate.

  • Rudeism becomes the Goose with incredible Untitled Goose Game controller – Dexerto

Rudeism becomes the Goose with incredible Untitled Goose Game controller Rudeism, Twitch / House HouseWorld of Warcraft with Apex Legends Overwatch with a pizza and baguette. Now the entertainment streamer has found a way to truly immerse himself in House House’s best-selling Untitled Goose Game, donning a full-body goose-style controller to fully become the feathery character during his October 2 stream. The costume-controller was designed with scuba flippers rigged to control the goose’s movements and gloves to control the flapping wings. The pièce de résistance for the get-up was the voice-activated beak, allowing Beck to honk in-game to his heart’s content. Read more: Ninja sets new Fortnite wins world record – All in all, the full-body controller took Rudeism to another level while he patrolled the cartoonish-landscape of Untitled Goose Game. It all seemed rather tiring for the 29-year-old gaming star, however, and he soon moved from crouching to sitting to play. “Ahhh, it works! Oh my god, it works. I can’t believe this works, are you serious? Holy shit!” Rudeism cried in joy the first time he tried the controller out, before admitting he might not be able to finish the full game in the get-up. Not everything is meant to last forever, though, and it seems Beck’s mad-scientist controller was no different. After a few hours the do-it-yourself setup began to fall apart, with wires and cabling tumbling out of the costume and cutting short the fun. “Goosing got cut a bit short tonight by a faulty wire, but I’ll get it all fixed up for some more tomorrow night!” the streamer promised on Twitter after his stream, and added that he would be returning to the game partly because of the incidental exercise. “That goose controller might be the most physically demanding thing I’ve ever built. The constant squatting is what does it. Disregard gym, obtain HONKS!” That goose controller might be the most physically demanding thing I’ve ever built. The constant squatting is what does it. Disregard gym, obtain HONKS — Rudeism (@rudeism) October 2, 2019 After the Untitled Goose Game playthrough fell apart, literally, Rudeism returned to one of his old classics — playing Psyonix’s bumper car title Rocket League with a Guitar Hero guitar. While not everyone is playing the Untitled Goose Game with the full costume and an Xpadder-fueled control system, the second release from Melbourne-based House House developers has been breaking records for its outlandish concept and gameplay. The initial trailer for the game went viral in 2017, before the Australian creators were signed by US publishing company Panic. Since its release on September 20, the hilarious game fired to #1 on Nintendo Switch’s best selling list, and digital downloads in the US. One thing’s for sure. Whether you’re dressed up in full feather-like regalia with a beak and stomping your feet with huge flippers, or simply sitting back with a controller, Untitled Goose Game seems here to stay for the foreseeable future, so get used to the honking.

  • Ruby Franke pleads guilty to child abuse charges after two children hospitalized – Dexerto

Ruby Franke pleads guilty to child abuse charges after two children hospitalized YouTube: 8 PassengersFamily vlogger Ruby Franke has pleaded guilty to four charges of felony child abuse after she was arrested earlier this year when two of her children were hospitalized. Ruby Franke is best known for her now-defunct YouTube channel ‘8 Passengers,’ where she and her husband, Kevin Franke, vlogged about their daily lives with their six children. However, the Frankes came under scrutiny in 2020 when some viewers took issue with the punishments they were doling out to their children — one of them being “taking away” their son’s bedroom for pranking his little brother, leaving him to sleep on a beanbag for nearly six months. In August 2023, Ruby Franke was arrested on suspicion of aggravated child abuse, along with Jodi Hildebrandt, founder of the parent counseling service ConneXions. The arrest took place after two of Franke’s children, her 12-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter, were found “malnourished and with open wounds, with duct tape covering their extremities.” Ruby Fanke pleads guilty to 4 felony counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse On December 18, 2023, Ruby Franke pleaded guilty to four felony counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse. Franke was initially charged with six counts in September, but two of these charges were dropped due to a plea deal. Standing in court, CBS reports that Franke responded to the fourth count by pleading, “With my deepest regret and sorrow for my family and my children, guilty.” A statement from Franke’s lawyers claims that Jodi Hildebrandt “systematically isolated Ruby Franke from her extended family, older children, and her husband, Kevin Franke.” Kevin Franke has reportedly filed for divorce from wife Ruby following the incident. Their four youngest children were also placed into state custody. Ruby Franke is scheduled for sentencing on February 20 — a decision left up to a judge, but one that doesn’t “rule out jail time,” as reportedly acknowledged by her attorney, LaMar Winward.

Rubius quickly unbanned on Twitch after Sonic Frontiers copyright mishap Twitch: RubiusSpanish Twitch star Rubius was quickly unbanned after a miscommunication with SEGA led to a copyright strike while playing Sonic Frontiers during his broadcast. With nearly 13,000,000 followers on Twitch — Rubius has made a name for himself as one of the top Spanish-speaking streamers on the platform. However, on November 7, 2022, he was hit with a ban as well as the removal of his partnership status shortly after going live with gameplay from the upcoming Sonic Frontiers game. At the time of the ban, Rubius had nearly 30,000 viewers enjoying the game alongside him for the first time. Rubius banned from Twitch after streaming Sonic Frontiers Shortly after the ban, Rubius posted a response on his Twitter page, claiming that Sega told him that he was able to stream it immediately after installing the game. According to Twitter’s built-in translate option, he said: “Sega today sent me a code for Sonic Frontiers. In the email, they tell me that there is no embargo and that I can stream it now. Sega proceeds to ban me from Twitch. WTF???” In the tweet, he also shares a screenshot of what appears to be his email claiming there is no embargo. • RTGame goes crazy after spending 13 days to finally catch shiny Pokemon – Dexerto

RTGame goes crazy after spending 13 days to finally catch shiny Pokemon PokemonTwitch streamer and popular YouTuber Daniel ‘RTGame’ finally completed his journey of capturing a shiny Pokemon in Sword and Shield after spending nearly a fortnight trying to snag the pocket monster. On February 18, the streamer was casually talking to his chat while knocking out random Wooloos he encountered, waiting to come into contact with a shiny one. In the Pokemon series, shiny Pokemon are extremely difficult to find. Unlike traditional “legendary” Pokemon, shinies can be found anywhere, but it’s really a matter of luck when it comes to running into them. Shiny Pokemon differ from their non-shiny counterparts with different colors, and a sparkle animation plays upon encountering one. After knocking out his 3419th Wooloo in a row and walking into the tall grass, he finally came face-to-face with what he was searching for – and couldn’t believe his good fortune. In fact, the streamer didn’t even realize it at first, as he was concentrating on his chat – but he was in for a big surprise once he looked up at his screen. “Oh, f**k!” he shouted. “Oh my God. Holy sh*t! We did it! Yes!” The Irishman then got very quiet, clearly overwhelmed after spending so long waiting for this moment. After making sure the music was right, he used the correct Pokeball to make the catch, successfully securing his prize. “Oh my God, we did it,” he melted after capturing the shiny Wooloo. “I never thought this would happen.” In total, the streamer spent over forty-nine hours and encountered 3420 Wooloos before finally coming across his sought-after shiny. Because Wooloos are found on Route 1, this meant that the YouTuber would finally be able to enjoy the rest of Sword and Shield. “Now we get to play the game!” he joked. “Phase two begins now.” Hopefully, the rest of his playthrough goes a lot smoother than the painstaking hours he spent in the search for the shiny Wooloo.

  • Rubi Rose’s alleged OnlyFans super-spender claims ‘leaked DMs’ all part of a hoax – Dexerto

Rubi Rose’s alleged OnlyFans super-spender claims ‘leaked DMs’ all part of a hoax YouTube: No JumperThe man accused of being Rubi Rose’s obsessive top spender on OnlyFans has claimed that the entire incident was a hoax. He alleges that her team set the whole thing up with some input from him. Rapper Rubi Rose is one of many celebrities who has created an OnlyFans to make a small fortune on the side. She joined influencers like Amouranth and Corinna Kopf who have all made a killing on the adult platform. Earlier this month, Rose shared an image of her with a man she claimed to be her top OnlyFans spender alongside a screenshot of $62,000 paid to her account. Since then, she has also shared leaked DMs and an image of her face tattooed on his body. On the December 13 episode of Adam22’s No Jumper podcast, the man gave an exclusive interview in which he asserts that the entire thing was a hoax. He claims he was paid by Rose’s team and even made suggestions on how to carry parts of it out. The man claims he was paid for the initial photo that he took with Rose and was aware that he was meant to be perceived as a big spender on her OnlyFans. “I met up with her to take this picture, the next day, I’m like, the fucking OnlyFans top spender,” he said on No Jumper. “I didn’t know the story was gonna come out to be bigger than what the story is now where I’m like, the obsessive guy who’s in love with her,” He explained when asked why he took part in the apparent hoax. He told Adam22 that he was filled in on parts of the alleged scheme but crucial details were left out. Once the story was out there, he claimed that he actually suggested getting a tattoo of Rose’s face on his body and requested “between $15-20K”. In relation to the image of the $62,000 transferred to Rose, the accomplice asserts “that’s someone’s account”, just not his apparently. He claims that prior to the initial photo, he had no strong feelings towards Rubi Rose one way or the other and that he was not even a follower of her OnlyFans. “I didn’t purchase any of her OnlyFans content,” he said. The man said that when the situation escalated, he began to experience anxiety and was concerned for his reputation. “I’m not like a weirdo, how the internet thinks I am you know,” he explained. During the episode of No Jumper, he didn’t offer any physical evidence that it was a hoax. Certain contradictions throughout have the audience skeptical of his claims.

  • Rosanna Pansino leaks DMs with MrBeast following allegations of “lying” and false editing – Dexerto

Rosanna Pansino leaks DMs with MrBeast following allegations of “lying” and false editing Instagram: mrbeast / Instagram: rosannapansinoRosanna Pansino is not backing down after accusing MrBeast of editing her out of Creator Games 3, her latest move seeing the pair’s DMs leaked online. MrBeast has found himself in hot water after being accused of editing his video to misrepresent the winners in one of his challenges. The claims come from Rosanna Pansino, another content creator with over 14.5 million followers on YouTube. Pansino took to Twitter earlier this week to slam MrBeast, claiming she had come third in his Creator Games 3 competition, only to have her win removed from the final video. Standing her ground and refusing to back down, Pansino has now leaked private DMs between herself and MrBeast on Twitter. And she’s seemingly not impressed with what he had to say. In the leaked messages, MrBeast appears to have reached out following Pansino’s allegations, asking for her number so that they could call and “figure out what happened.” Instead, Pansino told MrBeast that while it wasn’t her intention to be “malicious” or start “drama,” she was “really hurt by the editing decisions” he had made. “Editing me out of the top 3 and making me look like I performed worse than I did felt awful,” Pansino wrote. “Quackity was also edited out of the top 3 and he also talked about it.” Pansino also stated that the situation had affected her mental health, to which MrBeast replied, “Obviously I wasn’t trying to make you look bad! Just give me a time we can chat, I’m not mad or anything. Just want to help.” However, when asked why he ‘lied’ and why Logan Paul appeared in the top 3 despite being eliminated beforehand, MrBeast doubled down on discussing the matter over a phone call. Nonetheless, Pansino was set on ensuring she had evidence of accountability, responding, “I’ll give you some time to look into it and remember and then we can discuss. I’m more than happy to review all the raw footage to help show the timeline of events. Feel free to send it over to my team. Let me know.” “If he can say it to me on the phone, he can say it in writing,” Pansino wrote on Twitter alongside the screenshotted DMs. “When I asked him to send over the raw footage to review the timeline, he went radio silent. MrBeast kept pressing me to get on the phone and refused to answer any of my questions in writing.” We’ll be sure to keep you updated. • Rosanna Pansino redacts apology to MrBeast in deleted post – Dexerto

Rosanna Pansino redacts apology to MrBeast in deleted post YouTube: Curiosity Stream / Rosanna PansinoRosanna Pansino detracted her apology to MrBeast, but quickly deleted her post about the situation, leaving fans more confused than ever. Recently, there’s been beef brewing between two of the internet’s biggest creators: YouTube king Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson and prominent influencer, actress, and singer Rosanna Pansino. Although their feud has just started, the issue actually stems back to 2021, when Pansino participated in MrBeast’s Creator Games 3, a massive competition organized by the YouTube star involving a group of other big influencers. Although she ended up finishing their massive game of hide-and-seek in the top three, Pansino claims that MrBeast basically edited the video to make it seem like other high-profile male creators performed better than she did. Pansino posted about the situation in a string of tweets in late October, but ended up deleting them after she allegedly received “death threats” over the situation, with some MrBeast’s fans accusing her of attempting to drive engagement toward her recently-released music video. Although the two attempted to talk things out in DMs, MrBeast seemingly wanted to call her about the situation rather than continue to speak via text — something Pansino wasn’t keen on doing. In the end, Pansino apologized to MrBeast and said she “should have expressed my feelings privately and handled things directly.” However, she has now “redacted” this apology. Rosanna Pansino “redacts” apology to MrBeast in deleted tweet On the night of November 1, Pansino allegedly made a post taking back her apology to MrBeast… but she later deleted it, with the post nowhere to be found on her profile. Despite this, screenshots of the statement have made their way online. “I redact my apology to MrBeast of not settling things privately,” she wrote. “Based on new information and developments behind the scenes, I have learned that certain issues will never be ‘handled’ privately, they will only be dismissed or covered up privately.” “Moving forward I do promise not to drop an ill-timed music video (completely poor timing, my bad) and will word things more clearly in the future (never my intention to downplay anyone’s experiences). “ “I am just learning to find my own voice and be a safe space for others,” she ended the post. Thus far, Pansino has not made another tweet directly addressing the situation, and MrBeast has not publicly posted about the issue whatsoever. However, Pansino has perhaps thrown some shade his way, making a post about a new “hide and seek league” that potentially alludes to an event parodying MrBeast’s Creator Games. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing situation right here at Dexerto.

  • Rosanna Pansino apologizes to MrBeast & backs down on Creator Games 3 drama – Dexerto

Rosanna Pansino apologizes to MrBeast & backs down on Creator Games 3 drama Rosanna Pansino/MrBeastRosanna Pansino called out MrBeast, claiming she wasn’t happy with the way she was portrayed in Creator Games 3. She’s since pulled her tweets out of regret for not dealing with this in private, but also cited “thousands of death threats” as part of her reason for backing down. MrBeast has been involved in his fair share of controversy through 2023. From suing (and subsequently being counter-sued by) MrBeast Burger to being called out for an 100-day challenge sounding like “torture”, being YouTube’s biggest creator hasn’t kept him away from controversy. The latest drama he’s been involved with came as a result of YouTuber Rosanna Pansino calling him out for what she felt was her being “edited out” of Creator Games 3 in a way that made her look like she performed much worse than she actually did. Amid the controversy stirred by her statement, Rosanna Pansino has apologized and pulled her tweets. Though she admitted that it may have been better handled in private, she also pointed to “death threats” as a big part of the reason she’s decided to let things go. Rosanna Pansino drops MrBeast beef amid “death threats” With the original tweets having since been deleted, here’s the main part of her tweet that sparked this controversy: “When the video was released I was shocked, disappointed, and felt hurt. MrBeast (Jimmy) had edited the video to make me look like I performed worse than I did,” Pansino said. “This was extra upsetting because I genuinely believed him when he said that his videos are ‘authentic and real’.” This caused a massive stir on the internet, with some encouraging Rosanna to seek the truth while others weren’t happy with the manner in which she called out MrBeast. As a result, Pansino has decided to delete her tweets around the situation and issue an apology. Rosanna apologized to MrBeast directly, saying that she should have “expressed my feelings privately and handled things directly,” rather than airing her grievances on Twitter and has chosen to delete her tweets. However, her own regrets weren’t the only thing driving her to take the tweets down. “I will be honest in that the thousands of death threats I’ve received today are a contributing factor, but I do also sincerely hear the feedback from so many of you.” That said, Pansino hasn’t backed up this claim with evidence at the time of writing. Additionally, many aren’t happy with Pansino’s apology, with her dissenters calling her out for releasing a new music video amid the drama and liking Tweets and YouTube comments calling out MrBeast’s fanbase. Through the duration of this controversy, MrBeast has been completely silent on his front-facing social media, with Pansino claiming that the creator pressured her to call him rather than continuing their conversation through DMs in a series of now-deleted tweets showing her conversation with the creator. It’s yet unclear whether or not the video was edited in a way that was inauthentic to Pansino’s experience on the show.

  • Rosanna Pansino calls out The Completionist as new allegations arise – Dexerto

Rosanna Pansino calls out The Completionist as new allegations arise Rosanna PansinoIn response to people asking her about a YouTube video from over 10 years ago, Rosanna Pansino confirmed she hadn’t spoken with The Completionist for years. Though she also didn’t have many nice things to say about her interactions with him. Rosanna Pansino is one of the YouTube OGs. She’s been around for over a decade and has grown her career outside of the YouTube world, though she does still make YouTube content and regularly guest stars on shows like the Try Guys’ Without a Recipe series. And, though she was involved in some controversy earlier this year after criticizing Mr. Beast, she still has a long and illustrious career that’s made her a respected figure in the YouTube space. Over the years, she’s collaborated with dozens of creators to come in and help her bake different recipes and didn’t hesitate to collab with other YouTubers. 11 years ago, she did a video that guest starred The Completionist, and her past with the creator to many asking her about whether or not she still speaks with him. This led to her criticizing Jirard, distancing herself further from him as she claimed she wasn’t surprised a story like this emerged and that he and his crew were “manipulative and malicious” in the past. The Completionist called out for being “manipulative” over a decade ago Over the past few weeks, the back and forth between The Completionist and Karl Jobst/SomeOrdinaryGamers has had many questioning Jirard’s intentions with his YouTube career. It’s worth mentioning that, as of now, no legal action has been taken against Jirard nor have the books behind the Open Hand foundation been audited. At this time, any claims that he committed charity fraud are just claims. However, other than The Completionist’s ‘Constructionist’ cameo being removed from Sea of Stars, those who have worked with Jirard in the past have, for the most part, remained silent about their interactions with the creator and his team. That is, until Rosanna Pansino was being asked about whether she still associated with Jirard. In answering, she alleged he had a past history of being manipulative toward her. “There are many reasons I am not friends with him and his crew anymore. The news about their potential charity fraud is deeply upsetting, but not surprising.” Pansino lamented. And, while she didn’t get too specific with her accusations, Pansino claimed that The Completionist was “manipulative and malicious” even as far back as when they collaborated. “In my experience, they will smile to your face and be manipulative and malicious behind your back. They use anyone who is kind enough to support them. Thank you to [Karl Jobst] for shining light on this ongoing awful behavior. There is no excuse for taking people’s money for 9+ years and not donating it.” The Completionist has yet to respond to Jobst and Mutahar’s second set of allegations or Pansino’s new accusations at the time of writing.

Influencer boxing has recently been all the rage as the largest internet celebrities are taking to the ring to settle their differences. Pioneered by KSI and Logan Paul, this subgenre of combat sports has viewers speculating about their dream matchups and draws in hundreds of thousands of ticket sales per event. And while his younger brother Jake Paul is attempting to paint himself as a real, bonified professional boxer; Logan Paul has diverged from that path in order to make a name for himself in the WWE. And in an unprecedented turn of events, the eldest Paul brother secured a title match after just two fights. He had Roman Reigns in his sights – the current WWE Universal Champion – but many spectators didn’t believe Paul had earned the shot at a title. Paul ended up falling short at the end of an electric matchup, and Reigns had a few words to share with any YouTubers tempted to take their own shot at the WWE. Roman Reigns calls out MrBeast and KSI In the middle of the match, Reigns ended up getting Logan Paul into a hold which gave him enough time to deliver a few words to the camera. While wrestlers don’t normally get the opportunity to share verbal messages during matches, his words couldn’t have come at a better time. While Logan struggled to break free from Reigns’ grip, Roman locked eyes with the camera and stated, “We’re putting an end to this. This is it, right here. Ain’t no more YouTubers coming over here, anymore. This is the last YouTuber you’re ever gonna see on the WWE. He went on to specifically call out KSI and MrBeast, but Logan barked back with his own taunts – despite being in a painful hold. “Not true!” Paul shouted. “We coming, baby!” Of course, viewers already know that Roman Reigns would eat his words just a few moments later when Jake Paul made his own WWE debut. He and his brother teamed up to take out the Usos who attempted to disrupt the match. Roman Atwood is a major presence on YouTube with over 15 million subscribers due to his positive content and humorous family vlogs, which detail his everyday life with his wife Brittney and their four children. Despite posting vlogs nearly every day for quite some time, the social media star went silent on all platforms for nearly a year, leading many fans to wonder about his sudden absence and hope for his safety. The star returned to YouTube to reveal that he and his family had been victims of several stalkers, who had called in a bomb threat to a family funeral, changed their home address and car insurance policy, and even sent photos taken from their own security system. However, it seems that Atwood and co. have finally moved on from these terrifying moments in their lives, as evidenced by the incredible new home they bought and showcased in February 27 YouTube video. Atwood adamantly claimed that the purchase of their new home is the start of a brand new “chapter” of their lives, after growing their family by welcoming baby Knox into the world a month prior. The home boasts an immense entryway with two lavish staircases, a massive kitchen and pantry, and, of course, walk-in closets (not to mention the music room where Atwood has stored his drum set). Decked in black and white, the house is truly a minimalist mansion — the perfect fit for a family of six and other guests. Despite the temptation to do so, Atwood declined to give his viewers a full house tour, preferring to focus on their accomplishment of starting fresh after dealing with the stress of multiple stalkers. Although their move may not have been a direct result of these stalkers, it wouldn’t come as a shock to fans if it were; YouTube star David Dobrik likewise moved house after experiencing several frightening instances of stalking, during which a fan even broke into his bedroom. For now, it looks like Atwood’s fanbase is as excited for his new home as he is, and are hopeful that this means more content for the future.

While WHAT have now surpassed the world record, they are currently still streaming, with no sign of them shutting down the show any time soon.

  • Rogue Company came back from the dead just to remove Dr Disrespect – Dexerto

Rogue Company came back from the dead just to remove Dr Disrespect Rogue CompanyRogue Company, a game that hasn’t received an update since October 2023, got patched by devs just to remove their Dr Disrespect crossover. Dr Disrespect had a significant influence on the gaming community, with millions of followers and multiple collaborations between Turtle Beach, Midnight Society, and others. However, following information about him sending inappropriate messages to minors being released to the public, all of these ventures have cut ties with Dr Disrespect. Turtle Beach removed its Dr Disrespect-themed headphones from its storefront, and Midnight Society, a game company co-founded by the Doc, decided to end its partnership with him. Rogue Company, a game developed by HiRez, garnered attention from the gaming community in its early stages for being a new five-vs-five multiplayer shooter. During its era of hype, the developers teamed up with Dr Disrespect to make a skin and an entire map dedicated to him. The game hasn’t seen any activity for nearly a year, with no new content or updates from the developers. However, a few players noticed that Dr Disrespect’s skin was subtly removed from the game. A Redditor posted a video of themselves playing Rogue Company with the Dr Disrespect skin on. It seems that, while the skin does appear on the starting screen, in the game, it defaults to another character, and the same can be said for when the game ends and the characters are displayed again. Following the release of the video and comments on their subreddit confirming refunds, Rogue Company’s devs took to X and clarified that all the content associated with Dr Disrespect had been removed. “Hey Rogue Company, we have disabled Dr Disrespect content previously available on game. We will provide full Rogue Buck refunds to any impacted account this week,” the company said on X. However, despite the promise of refunds, players weren’t happy with the decision to give it back through in-game currency instead of actual money. “Give me back my money. I don’t want to buy your other crappy skins,” said one commenter. Rogue Company has assured players that they will be getting their refunds within the week of July 8 – 14, so be sure to check your account for the in-game currency.

  • Rocket League fans smash world record for longest wave – Dexerto

Rocket League fans smash world record for longest wave Psyonix / NPRDuring the Rocket League World Championship, fans went for nearly 27 minutes doing the Mexican wave, shattering records along the way. If you’ve been to a sporting event before then chances are you’ve seen or been a part of a Mexican wave, where fans circle the stadium all throwing their hands up into the air, creating what looks like a wave going around the sea of people. Most times the wave will make it a couple of times around the arena before it dies out, but Rocket League fans had something different in mind. There’s a new world record Fans set the record but weren’t satisfied with just barely scraping by – they instead went for nearly 27 minutes, making sure nobody was going to come close to the record any time soon. It’s an impressive record, and we’re sure that everybody involved won’t be lifting their arms for a while, and honestly, they deserve the rest. Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez shouted out community member Jonnie Paez for organizing the wave and encouraging them to break the previous record of 17 minutes and 14 seconds. @GoldenboyFTWis the absolute GOAT for helping me make this happen. THIS IS @RocketLeague !!!! #RLCS7 @RLEsports @espn @GWR #RocketLeague #dothewave #mexicanwave #WorldRecord pic.twitter.com/n6FcqfA4GY — Jonnie Paez (@jonathanpaez) June 23, 2019 For whatever reason, the wave has become quite divisive in the sporting world with fans either loving or hating it, with not much room in between. You can catch a glimpse of the wave in progress below, but a minute clip is not nearly long enough to capture the entire duration of it. Rocket League has been known to have some very passionate fans, but there’s no way they saw this coming. Now the question remains of how long will this record be able to stand before it is challenged? If we had to guess, we’d say it’s going to be standing for a long time.

  • Rocket League pro just turned an Addison Rae tweet into merch – Dexerto

Rocket League pro just turned an Addison Rae tweet into merch Professional Rocket League player Musty just dropped a line of merch featuring a tweet from TikTok superstar Addison Rae. Musty is a prolific figure in the Rocket League community. Before going pro as a sub for The General NRG, he created an iconic, aptly named mechanic: the Musty Flick. He’s also the second Rocket League content creator to gain 1 million subscribers on YouTube. And he currently sits at 2.6 million. But content creation isn’t holding him back from the game’s professional scene. Despite his success with Rocket League, Musty seemingly struggles with relationships. His fans frequently joke about his lack of a romantic partner. However, TikTok superstar Addison Rae seems to think Musty is pretty cool. Musty makes Addison Rae tweet his new merch On February 24, 2021, Addison Rae tweeted “but what if I think musty is cool??” The unprompted tweet was swarmed by Musty’s fans recounting the acts of heroism he had performed for them. It also got the attention of Musty and The General NRG. Almost a year later, Musty posted a video to Twitter announcing his new merch. This new line is titled “A Musty Valentine” and several articles of clothing feature a screenshot of Addison Rae’s tweet on the front. At the time of reporting, Addison Rae has yet to acknowledge Musty’s merch. It’s hard to say what she’ll think of the use of her tweet. https://twitter.com/amustycow/status/1492226826332250113 In Musty’s merch announcement video, he features various tweets poking fun at his lack of communication skills with women. • Robots are now making fries at White Castle – and it’s weirder than you think – Dexerto

Robots are now making fries at White Castle – and it’s weirder than you think Miso RoboticsWhite Castle have announced they’ll be utilizing the power of robotics to make their hamburgers in future. The popular fast food chain is installing a long robotic arm, affectionately termed Flippy 2, that hovers over the frying section of the restaurant. Designed by Miso Robotics, a company that manufactures artificial intelligence-driven robots, they will be introduced region by region. A spokesperson for the brand stated, “Flippy 2 alleviates the pain points that come with back-of-house roles at quick-service restaurants to create a working environment for its human coworkers that maximizes the efficiency of the kitchen”. What does the robot do? In terms of what Flippy 2 can do, the machine has the ability to take over an entire frying station. This means that the robot can whip up french fries, chicken nuggets, and even more delicate items like tacos and onion rings. But does this mean that we have yet another customer service job replaced by AI? The makers of Flippy 2 dispute this question, stating that the robot merely aids in the more tedious aspects of the role. “Flippy works alongside human chefs and kitchen staff. It takes on repetitive, time-consuming, and dangerous tasks, freeing people to focus on more creative and complex aspects of food preparation”. White Castle’s vice president agrees, stating “The team members who work with Flippy are really, really happy and the rollout is going really well”. White Castle isn’t the first chain to delve into AI either, as both Checkers and Mcdonald’s are experimenting with AI-operated order-taking systems at drive-throughs. We’ve even witnessed robots acting as servers in some restaurants, delivering food to customers and waiting on tables. Flippy 2 will be introduced in nearly one-third of the company’s restaurants, across the Southwest, Midwest, and New York area.

  • The Rock answers MrBeast’s ‘rock, paper, scissors’ challenge with huge donation – Dexerto

The Rock answers MrBeast’s ‘rock, paper, scissors’ challenge with huge donation MrBeastIn response to a rock, paper, scissors challenge from MrBeast, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson pledges a huge donation to charity. The Rock is making the rounds yet again this year with press interviews because of the release of his newest film, Black Adam. Centered around the origins of the classic Shazam antagonist, Black Adam stars The Rock in what’s being billed as a new day for the future of DC films. When popular YouTuber MrBeast caught up with the action star, though, The Man in Black had a different type of challenge to face. MrBeast’s game against The Rock ends in a wholesome way MrBeast recently interviewed Dwayne Johnson and challenged the former wrestler to a game of rock, paper, scissors. The rules were simple, if The Rock won, MrBeast would donate $100,000 to any charity of his choice. Victory didn’t come easy for either of them, especially since the actor didn’t instantly pick “rock” as anticipated. After two tied games, the Black Adam star promised to match the $100,000 donation if MrBeast won the contest. He held true to his promise, too. MrBeast came out on top in the third round, as The Rock actually went with “rock,” thus losing to the YouTuber’s “paper” move. In the end, both pledged $100,000 to the charity of The Rock’s choosing – the Make-A-Wish foundation. The wholesome exchange went live on MrBeast’s YouTube channel earlier today, October 21, and has already garnered more than 430,000 views. Renowned for his philanthropic efforts, Dwayne Johnson has long worked hard to give back to the community. Notably, he founded The Dwayne Johnson ROCK Foundation 15 years ago, opening up a platform designed to enrich the lives of children with medical disabilities and disorders. His and MrBeast’s donation to Make-A-Wish will undoubtedly work to further that mission.

  • Over-the-top Robot Chicken segment parodies Overwatch League and esports – Dexerto

Over-the-top Robot Chicken segment parodies Overwatch League and esports Adult Swim / Overwatch LeagueThe Overwatch League Season 2 campaign might be done and dusted but popular Adult Swim late-night comedy Robot Chicken gave it a fitting farewell with a hilarious parody. For a long time, Robot Chicken has made running gags on some of the most prominent pop culture topics of its respective era. The show has made bizarre spoofs for everything from McDonalds, Harry Potter, Toy Story and now Overwatch. With the San Fransisco Shock sweeping the Vancouver Titans, and the entire 2019 postseason for that matter, the minds at Adult Swim found it fitting to give their take on the Overwatch League with its classic vulgarity-fused ironic sketches of their Robot Chicken series. In their Season 10 preview on October 3, Adult Swim released ‘The Nerd Plays Overwatch’ featuring two teams made up of four players competing in ESPN’s coverage of the OWL. Though the sketch briefly featured a sentry-mode Bastion laying waste to Tracer and Genji before getting obliterated by Widowmaker, the gag was more about the athletes playing the game. With the Omaha Tripe Munchers somehow securing the win over the Sacramento Sasquatches, the nerdiest member of the winning side had a “vicious” pop-off before doing his ESPN interview. The skit aims at everything from misconceptions about esports players to the evolution of ESPN’s media coverage and its foray into competitive gaming. But one of the best interactions came after a boisterous Muncher noted the “nerds are taking over” since football fans tuning in had to instead watch “a bunch of weird-looking outcasts playing video games.” That’s when players from both teams chimed in that they weren’t nerds, but were instead up-and-coming athletes who switched over to Overwatch with college scholarships, endorsement deals and the like. The Robot Chicken creators even touched on the idea that esports players are starting to take an identity not representative of the “stereotypical nerd,” pointing out that most esports stars are fit, the same as any other sport. But an obscene on-stage interruption derailed that train of thought when the program “cut to a real sport” of a “true athlete” golfer putting a ball into a hole mere feet away. These obvious quips are Robot Chicken’s expertise, but it’s clear to see that Overwatch esports has ingrained into pop culture enough to warrant a clip from the infamous TV show.

A number of deepfake accounts have popped up on the app, in which people digitally alter themselves to pretty convincingly become someone else, such as the ‘Deep Tom Cruise’ account which has over five million followers on the app. Batman actor Robert Pattinson has also been subject to this trend, with TikTok account ‘unreal_robert’ creating a number of videos featuring a deepfake of the actor which have gone viral on many occasions. In an interview with ES Magazine, Pattinson shared his thoughts on the bizarrely accurate deepfake videos, and revealed that even people who know him were fooled by them. “I know, it’s terrifying,’ he said. “The amount of people who know me quite well and will still be like, ‘Why are you doing these weird dancing videos on TikTok?’” He went on to say: “It’s really bizarre. • Here’s why PewDiePie was banned from Roblox – Dexerto

Here’s why PewDiePie was banned from Roblox PewDiePie, YouTube / RobloxMassively popular children’s game ‘Roblox’ has reinstated YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, after banning him and all mention of his username from their platform following his stream to beat Bollywood label T-Series. A post on Roblox’s developer forums explained PewDiePie’s ban as relating to a recent, “negative” meme from December, which included the word, “pewdie.” The post went on to claim that PewDiePie’s legacy account had been unfairly banned, as the game only meant to ban new accounts with usernames containing the offending phrase. https://devforum.roblox.com/t/update-in-regards-to-recent-policy-action-pewdiepie/239867“The legacy account that PewDiePie used in his livestream was incorrectly banned as part of the administration of this policy,” the post reads. “His legacy account is being reinstated.” However, many players aren’t buying Roblox’s explanation, as few search results exist within the game’s forums concerning the meme. Additionally, a post allegedly written by a Roblox staff member from January 2019 claimed that any content related to PewDiePie would be banned, “due to his content redirecting to unsafe and inappropriate sites/channels, as well as continued inappropriate behavior.” Read More: ‘Fresh Prince’ actor Alfonso Ribeiro’s Fortnite dance emote lawsuit gets surprising update – PewDiePie’s ban came shortly after his unannounced livestream of the game on February 11, in a last-ditch effort to beat out T-Series for the most subscribers on YouTube. Pewds wasn’t the only one affected by the ban, either; other accounts were likewise banned for using the word ‘PewDiePie’ in chats, while one user was banned for uploading a photo of a shirt that read, “Sub to PewDiePie.” PewDiePie later decried Roblox’s actions in a video, noting the irony of his ban in light of the success of his stream for the game, which saw over 15,000 concurrent players in his server.

  • Robert Pattinson may reprise role as vampire in Chloe Zhao’s Dracula – Dexerto

Robert Pattinson may reprise role as vampire in Chloe Zhao’s Dracula When it comes to Robert Pattinson, it is hard for many fans to imagine him as anything other than a vampire, and he may be returning as one soon, as the beloved Dracula. Different generations have different faces that come to mind when presented with the word “vampire.” Older generations may think back to Bela Lugosi’s iconic role as Dracula, while younger folks may instead imagine the dreamy, sparkly Edward from Twilight. Regardless of which figure comes to mind, decades of movies and TV shows have produced prominent blood-lusting characters. Whether or not they are from the past couple of decades or from a couple of centuries ago, those immortal beings will live on forever in the history of film. Fans of Robert Pattinson may not have seen the last of him as a vampire in the Twilight series. In fact, he could be set to return to the big screen as another blood-sucking heartthrob, albeit this time as the classic character Dracula. This unique combination of an ancient vampire represented by a young actor who has played a new-age vampire may be what fans from all generations need. Robert Pattinson as Dracula in Chloe Zhao’s adaptation Chloe Zhao recently confirmed that she had almost finished writing her screenplay for Dracula but has not since shared much else on the project. Her take on the iconic vampire story comes with a contemporary twist as it features elements of futurism, sci-fi, and society’s fringes. Zhao’s artistic version of Dracula is likely to deliver on its promises as a modern version of a well-known story. After winning an Oscar as the Best Director for her film Nomadland, Zhao spent time working on the poorly received Marvel movie Eternals. Since then, it would seem that she has been trying to reground herself in her roots as a director, focusing on her unique ability to present stories as fresh, mind-boggling films in ways audiences have never experienced them. Who better, then, could Zhao choose as this modern Dracula? It seems that Robert Pattinson in talks to represent the classic character following his awakening from a centuries-long slumber. Fans familiar with Twilight will see the actor jump from a role in which he plays a young vampire to this one where he plays the much older prince of darkness. It will be interesting to see Pattinson act as a vampire once again as he more recently played very different roles, such as The Batman.

  • Robert Irwin fans baffled as Halloween costume gets confused for Jeffrey Dahmer in viral TikTok – Dexerto

Robert Irwin fans baffled as Halloween costume gets confused for Jeffrey Dahmer in viral TikTok Netflix/ TikTok: robertirwinRobert Irwin was clearly super excited to post his TikTok on Halloween, dressed as Dwight Schrute from The Office, but things quickly turned south when users mistook his costume as notorious serial killer Jeffery Dahmer. Robert Irwin is the son of the beloved late zookeeper and television personality Steve Irwin, who tragically lost his life in 2006 after an injury at the hands of a stingray. 18-year-old Robert has carried on his dad’s passion for conservation and animal welfare, helping run the family zoo in Australia and sharing the same enthusiasm that made his father so popular worldwide. More recently, he’s taken to TikTok to start showing off a more behind-the-scenes look at their work, regularly posting videos with all manner of animals and discussing them, sharing it with the world. When he took to TikTok to show off his and his family’s Halloween costumes — dressed as characters from the US version of The Office — Robert didn’t expect some of the backlash that arrived. Dressed as Dwight Schrute and repeating popular phrases from the hit show, many understood who he was supposed to be straight away. Many, however, confused him for Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer whose story was recently told in Netflix’s biographical crime drama Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, and the Australian came under fire as a result. “Tell me he’s not dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer on Halloween. Cause if he is then bye,” said one commenter, while many others asked if he was meant to be Dahmer or claimed they got “Dahmer vibes” from it. These comments were quickly overrun, however, by fans coming to his defense, questioning how they could possibly miss what they deemed to be very clear, in that he was actually Dwight. “Guys he’s clearly dressed as Dwight from the office and not Dahmer,” said one user. “Have you guys not heard these lines before?” “People are confused?” another asked. “I’ve never seen the Office and I knew who he was, both of them.” Irwin himself hasn’t responded to the comments or addressed any of the backlash, but given the fact that it was more a mistake on the part of those who misread his costume, it’s unlikely he’ll feel the need to discuss it. The Aussie only posts on TikTok once a week or so, so time will tell whether he does address it in his next post. TikTok has been awash with Dahmer-related content, which has caused some controversy on the platform, particularly over ‘fan cams’. TikTok star Jack Wright faced backlash after dressing up as the killer.

  • Robber duo go viral after livestream leads to their arrest – Dexerto

Robber duo go viral after livestream leads to their arrest Having just committed a robbery, two criminals thought it would be a great idea to livestream their getaway. It was not. Broadcasting throughout awkward moments is nothing new in the digital age, from uncomfortable experiences at love hotels, to streaming all-out brawls in the street it seems as though nothing is off-limits. Pushing the boundaries that little bit further, two literal partners in crime had the brilliant idea of going live while making their escape after a successful robbery. Suffice to say, their attempt to flee was short-lived. In an October 27 livestream, two Brazilian thieves broadcasted from inside of their getaway vehicle after having committed a robbery in broad daylight. Singing along to music on the radio, not masking their faces whatsoever, the carefree criminals were quickly apprehended by local authorities. From happy-go-lucky to absolutely mortified in just a few split seconds, the looks on their faces told the story as the duo immediately realized there was no getting out of it. Instructed to keep their hands above their heads, all while a camera at the front of the vehicle captured it all, the two were quickly handcuffed and the stolen goods were recovered. An amusing incident to say the least, they were the latest failed criminals to become internet famous after their foolish broadcast made them viral sensations. Commenting on an October 27 Reddit post, ‘Penguin722’ joked that the local authorities ‘stream-sniped them in real life.” While the incident was amusing from a viewer’s perspective, the crime itself was no joking matter. Never hesitate to report an incident to your local law enforcement.

Robbi Jade Lew challenges Garrett Adelstein to Poker game amid viral cheating claims YouTube: WPTRobbi Jade Lew has challenged Garrett Adelstein to a heads-up game of Poker after she came under fire for claims of cheating during a World Poker Tour event. Over the last few weeks, there have been some wild cheating allegations thrown around in different sports – mainly in Chess – and now Poker is having it’s moment in the spotlight because of it. On the Poker front, the allegations exploded on September 30 when Robbi Jade Lew was accused of cheating during a World Poker Tour event after taking on Garrett Adelstein in a head-to-head hand. Robbi didn’t have anything spectacular to hand, holding just a Jack and Four against Garrett’s Eight and Seven. Though, she matched his all-in bet for the river card. She won the hand with just a Jack high card, which stunned players at the table, but immediately prompted some claims of cheating. Robbi Jade Lew challenges Garrett Adelstein amid poker cheating claims Amid the fallout, where Robbi gave Garrett his chips back, a handful of Poker players have given their backing to the female star – including legendary Daniel Negreanu. The situation is reportedly being investigated by the casino where the event was held, but Robbi believes she’ll be “vindicated” and wants to take on Garrett in a heads-up game once things have been cleared up. “Garrett, I’ve got an idea. After I’m vindicated, let’s go heads up,” Robbi tweeted afterwards. “The whole world can watch me read you all day.” Given that Robbi said that the pair had clashed off-camera over the incident, and Garrett has yet to respond to her offer, it remains to be seen if they’ll settle things. There is huge interest from fans, though, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see them face off in a one-on-one showdown for high stakes and bragging rights.

  • Rival summer camps fight each other in viral beach brawl battle royale – Dexerto

Rival summer camps fight each other in viral beach brawl battle royale Twitter/FightHavenTwo groups of males pounded the living daylights out of each other in a chaotic and bloody beach brawl that’s going viral. We’ve seen plenty of viral melees in 2023 so far from Taco Bell battles to airplane passengers engaging in fights on flights, but this beach brawl may be one of the greatest rumbles yet. In a video going viral on Twitter, two supposed camping groups met up by a lake and settled their differences in the most primal way imaginable: with their fists. It’s not clear what started the feud or why the two groups resorted to violence, but the video has been viewed over 500,000 times since being uploaded and it’s one for the ages. Bloody beach brawl goes viral with over 15 people fighting The video began with the two groups approaching each other with some members seemingly trying to de-escalate the situation, but it didn’t take long for one side to score first blood. Within mere moments, everyone seemed to have a dance partner and multiple fights broke out all at the same time. As the battle raged, fighters changed opponents with one man in black swim trunks dropping adversaries like flies with massive haymakers. Although the scrap only lasted about twenty seconds as a woman in the background screamed “stop,” severe damage had been done as the sides regrouped. The left side stood battered but ready for round two while the others were bloody and had to check for missing teeth. Unfortunately, that’s where the video ends, so we don’t know what happened after this, so ultimately you could say there are still more questions than answers. Fight Haven, the uploader of the video, didn’t state when the video was filmed or where the battle took place but captioned the clip “Rival summer camps engage in Civil War.” Of course, with it being a supposed summer camp, it’s likely that it was filmed a while ago and has only recently emerged. In any case, as far as rumbles go, this scrap definitely a wild one.

  • Rob Gronkowski recruits Tfue to help destroy one of his Super Bowl trophies – Dexerto

Rob Gronkowski recruits Tfue to help destroy one of his Super Bowl trophies YouTube: The Gronks/TfueRob Gronkowski is one of the most successful NFL players of all time, with three Super Bowl wins under his belt. So, with all those trophies, he decided to bring in top Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney to test their durability. Gronk has always been somewhat of a wildcard in the football world — he’s a little bit crazy and, whether it’s on or off the field, will always find ways to surprise you. After a brief hiatus working with the WWE, he’s back in the NFL and, at the time of writing, attempting to play his way to yet another Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As such, he’s clearly decided he needs to make space for another trophy, and recruited Tfue to see how easily the Vince Lombardi trophy can be damaged. It turns out, fairly easily. As a Florida native, Tfue has had the opportunity to play Fortnite with Tom Brady’s son (and speak with the legend himself) and film videos with Gronk over the last year for ‘The Gronks‘ family YouTube channel. So, it only makes sense that Gronkowksi brought Tfue in to help see what happens when he crashes the case housing one of his trophies — and it went just as you’d expect. While the trophy itself remained together, they initially thought it had completely survived the incident, before realizing that it had actually clocked an impressive dent towards the top. Gronk was unfazed, though, simply stating that “that’s what you do when you’re the champ.” Timestamp 1:40 While most football players in their career won’t even be fortunate enough to win one Vince Lombardi trophy, it’s probably not worth as much when you’ve got three of them laying around. Gronk went on to joke that it was “the greatest achievement in his sports life,” but we would wager he would be pretty happy to replace it with a brand new one at the Super Bowl on February 7. Who knows — maybe Tfue will be invited to join in the celebrations.

  • Rise Above the Disorder: How a WoW server became a mental health game-changer – Dexerto

Rise Above the Disorder: How a WoW server became a mental health game-changer Jason DoctonOnline communities are often the go-to spaces for escapism from mental illness or those seeking support from others with similar experiences. What was once a World of Warcraft guild is now a nonprofit organization called RAD, and it has transformed the lives of thousands of gamers on a global scale. When the right people come together in these spaces, a small idea can turn into something much bigger that helps thousands. That is exactly what happened with RAD (Rise Above the Disorder), a nonprofit organization helping to transform the lives of young people who struggle to access help for their mental health. The idea originated a decade ago from within a World of Warcraft Guild, called ‘Anxiety Gaming,’ after a member took his own life because mental health services were expensive and impossible to access. This is a common issue, with nearly 70% of all US adults and teens who seek mental healthcare citing access and cost as the main reasons why they haven’t started. Neuroscientist, guild leader, and now RAD founder, Jason Docton, spoke to Dexerto about his commitment to turning that issue around. Anxiety Gaming becomes RAD The group began by crowdfunding mental health care for those who came to them for help, starting within their own World of Warcraft guild and then expanding to League of Legends – although it quickly attracted interested globally, even from non-gamers. In fact, it became so successful that in 2016 they hosted Legends vs. Dragons, a charity event where popular band Imagine Dragons faced against the top five League of Legends players and raised over $125k. Despite this impressive success, carrying on was a struggle, and RAD’s founders were unable to pull together the funds to continue in the same way. “That all changed when we got an email from this 19-year-old in Georgia,” Jason explained. “They had decided to stay home one night when their parents and grandparents were going to go out to dinner, and their parents and their grandparents got in a horrible car accident and didn’t survive. And so this kid was just alone… He lived out in rural Georgia, so there wasn’t really anybody around him to look after him.” Jason’s team put all of their leftover funds and efforts into trying to help this person but were met by obstacle after obstacle, and after being forced into homelessness, this teenager tragically took his life. Jason was devastated. “It just tore the whole group apart,” he said. “It didn’t make sense that a teenager was left to die because they couldn’t afford mental health care.” It prompted the group to try again by rebranding to attract more people. “We had already failed. So usually, people don’t start there, but we decided to give it a shot.” It wasn’t in vain. Jason says RAD has now helped over 36,000 people in 133 countries, and their program boasts a 30% higher success rate than traditional therapy programs. “We’re just not letting that that flame go out.” Ultimately, Jason says it is the gaming community that has kept RAD alive, describing Twitch as “the backbone of our organization.” As it turns out, 74% of the people in RAD programs discovered them through Twitch, with more than 80% of their total funding stemming from fundraising by content creators. The #TwitchMusic #Charithon continues with the ultimate mashup you didn’t know you needed! Our friend @MattWaldenAC is as RAD as they come. Live now!https://t.co/XnNzcUpZMM pic.twitter.com/eIdDSFF565 — Rise Above The Disorder (@YouAreRAD) December 12, 2020 “I think it’s because we’re just a part of it,” Jason said, lauding an incredible response from the gaming community. “We’re not going to say the solution is to play fewer games, to go offline.” Most recently, RAD has been working closely with Minecraft creators, who bring a young audience that doesn’t already have a huge stigma around mental health. “These content creators are coming in and saying, ‘Yeah, this is OK to talk about. This is important to do.’” As RAD continues to make huge waves in the gaming community, this next month is gearing up for a giant push forward, with events happening every day in May to raise funds. The group will be working with massive creators across the board, including popular streamers xQc, Sweet Anita, and AustinTalkShow, although the fine details aren’t public just yet. How does RAD work? RAD works by paying for and pairing up those in need with therapists, with no cost to you. These costs are covered by charity streams organized by content creators, alongside corporate sponsorships. All funds raised on stream are entirely reserved for anyone watching that specific stream or event. If you’d like to use RAD’s services, all you need to do is head to their website, click on “Find Support,” and select either “apply for grant” or “find a therapist.” From there, you can submit an application for care, and you should get a response within 2 weeks. You can also support RAD by donating directly through their website or signing up as a volunteer.

Twitch has its different trends that come and go, whether it be GTA roleplaying, casino games, or even hot tub streams. But, what about sports betting? Trent Attyah, otherwise known as BookitWithTrent, has made waves on several social media platforms for this, amassing an impressive 262,000 followers on TikTok and 9,300 followers on his usual Twitch streaming destination, bookitsports. But, how did Trent make betting on sports marketable on these platforms? Funny enough, it actually all started with some incredible misfortune. Who is BookitWithTrent? The so-called Fade God, Trent, got his major start on TikTok and Twitch after missing a series of bets in a row, causing many in the community to “fade” his picks, or bet the opposite. Trent did a great job of turning this into a hilarious string of content, often reacting live when the bets missed, playing up the drama for the camera. The video below is just one of many, typically paired with the song, “Night Trouble” for a double-dose of sports betting sadness. The inception of the surgical stream However, this quickly turned into much more than just a funny creator with some questionable bets. It turned into a full-on community. In November, Trent started up what he calls his surgical streams, where he calls on his followers to submit their best picks live on-air. He then takes his favorite picks, sometimes decided by a Twitch poll or two, and makes a final parlay for the day. The surgical streams have become a daily feature that have been steadily growing in popularity, with repeat callers from the community, like ChellGod, getting reputations of their own for some solid picks. That’s not all; these streams have been making viewers money since their inception, calling into question Trent’s former identity as the Fade God. …and if saucy, levered-up parlays don’t make you hot ‘n bothered 🥵, a hypothetical $100 bettor would be up >$1,000 if they blindly bet every individual surgical stream guest recommendation since 12/15 (when @SurgicalStream‘s documentation started) 🤑🤑🤑 pic.twitter.com/ItGiBOR0QT — DeepValueBettor (@deepvaluebettor) December 28, 2021 While the profits and the picks are great, what’s more impressive is the community Trent has managed to build from the streams, all rallying around an unlikely unifier of sports gambling. To be a part of the community yourself, you can tune into Trent’s surgical streams every weekday in the afternoon and follow him on Twitter for most updates. Whether you’re looking to gamble or just purely looking for some entertaining reactions, BootitWithTrent is a solid one-stop-shop, Fade God or not.

  • RIP Twitter trends as platform struggles with hours of spotty outages – Dexerto

RIP Twitter trends as platform struggles with hours of spotty outages TwitterTwitter users around the world experienced problems with the social media platform starting on April 16 that affected almost every feature of the site. Millions of us refresh our Twitter feeds everyday, so when the platform starts experiencing any kind of widespread problem it quickly becomes either noticeable, a trending topic, or both. On April 16, users started reporting that the site was completely down, though a lucky few were still able to Tweet and get the phrase “RIP Twitter” trending by April 17. If you can read this tweet, you’re one of the lucky ones. Twitter is down right now across the world (except for a select few). pic.twitter.com/CuclanAulh — Dexerto (@Dexerto) April 17, 2021 Sorting out all of the memes, Twitter definitely experienced periods where the site went down from April 16-17, with the mobile app being the most affected. When it wasn’t down, there also issues with uploading and viewing images, gifs, and videos, with most just failing to load at all. Twitter told users that they were aware of the problems on Friday, and after an update on Saturday it seemed there were still some issues being ironed out for people still having trouble. We know that parts of Twitter still aren’t working for some of you. We’re fixing an issue with our servers to get things back to normal soon. Thanks for sticking with us. — Support (@Support) April 17, 2021 The situation’s incredible irony that Twitter wasn’t working quickly started trending on Twitter itself, and provided plenty of fodder for jokes and memes galore while appearing in the Explore tab. Most of these, as you would expect, are poking fun at the fact “RIP Twitter” was at the top of everyone’s feeds, but some speculated on what would happen if Twitter-addicts were actually faced with the prospect of not being able to share their thoughts, and it’s not pretty. If this doesn’t work, you may just have to be patient and wait, maybe get up and get some fresh air, as the problems all seem to be on Twitter’s end and have not been fully resolved just yet, according to their tweets.

  • #RIPTwitter trends on Twitter as thousands reportedly resign from platform – Dexerto

#RIPTwitter trends on Twitter as thousands reportedly resign from platform Twitter / Unsplash: Dave HoeflerTwitter could be on the verge of shutting down. This final stand from the platform leading potentially one last trend on the popular social media platform — #RIPTwitter — as thousands reportedly resign from the giant after disagreeing with Elon Musk’s “Twitter 2.0” pitch, and millions of users worry. Twitter has gone swiftly downhill since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media giant for $44 billion less than a month ago. The SpaceX and Tesla CEO came in swinging, firing key staff and laying off thousands more in his first days at the company. As the numbers dwindled from around 7,500 to under 4,000 employees, the bleeding is only getting worse after his reported “Twitter 2.0” ultimatum. With Elon Musk setting a November 17 deadline for employees to commit to the social media platform’s new future or leave, roughly 75% of the remaining 3,700 employees reportedly said no to the proposal. Musk is now locking them out from Twitter resources and blocking card access. Employees resigning in the thousands as a result. Big names from all across Twitter have pulled the plug, and many current and former employees fear the site will break with only a skeleton crew to maintain the platform, which has approximately 238 million daily users. Amid all the chaos with Twitter Blue’s verification fiasco, advertisers pulling out, and fears of the algorithm favoring paid users, Twitter users are resigning themselves to a world without the platform. And of course, that means potentially one last trend: #RIPTwitter. Thousands of users are using the hashtag to share their favorite stories about the social media platform, as well as share links to other services like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and even new competitors like Mastodon. Of course, there’s plenty of memes going around about the platform’s sharp downturn in the last month too. Musk himself has pointed fun at the situation. While he didn’t use the #RIPTwitter tag, he did tweet: “How do you make a small fortune in social media? Start out with a large one.” Whether Twitter will actually die is another question entirely. Reports from inside Twitter paint a dire picture of numerous core teams leaving, and the site is just one small failure away from breaking entirely. Only time will tell.

  • Riot Games send Tyler1 hilarious gift for League of Legends Season 9 – Dexerto

Riot Games send Tyler1 hilarious gift for League of Legends Season 9 TwitchLeague of Legends developers Riot Games sent a gift to one of the game’s best known streaming personalities, Tyler ‘tyler1’ Steinkamp, with a special message just for him. Tyler1 is a massively popular Twitch streamer, best known for playing, and raging at, League of Legends, and has had a rocky relationship with Riot in the past. For a long time, he was considered ‘toxic’, to the point that Riot indefinitely banned him from holding any LoL account, calling him a “genuine jerk.” However, amends were made in 2018, when tyler1 returned to Twitch – a comeback which at the time broke records for concurrent viewership – and later even attended and played in a showmatch at the NA LCS Summer Finals. Now welcomed back into the community, tyler1 has been making efforts to curb his ‘toxic’ behavior, and it seems Riot want to help him, judging by this unexpected gift. “This is a package from Riot,” Steinkamp told his viewers, “I wonder what could be inside?” After some fumbling with the packaging, he found out – and it wasn’t what he expected. A framed image showing tyler1, wearing a shirt which says ‘reformed’ on the back, while writing lines on the chalkboard which read: “I will not be toxic next season.” League of Legends season 9 begins on January 23, but tyler1 doesn’t think he needs to be reminded about toxic behavior after a mild season 8 for him personally. “Riot, I was not toxic this season, number one,” the streamer said after unboxing the gift, “sure, we got an unjust chat restriction for saying my team was fucking dogshit, and then AFK’d the game – but that does not mean I was toxic.” Whatever their past grievances, it seems Riot are now embracing one of their game’s most popular content creators, rather than shunning him as a “genuine jerk”.

  • Riot sends heartfelt care package to Kyedae as aid in her recovery – Dexerto

Riot sends heartfelt care package to Kyedae as aid in her recovery Twitch: kyedaeKyedae received a surprise care package from the developers of Valorant and League of Legends, Riot Games, containing some figurines and heartfelt letters. Kyedae is a huge part of the Valorant community, being one of the largest content creators focused on the game, even winning the Valorant streamer of the year during QTCinderella’s Streamer Awards. So it’s no surprise that the developers of the game decided to reach out and offer some support after Kyedae revealed her cancer diagnosis on Twitter. Riot games sent Kyedae a care package containing a heartfelt letter, some figurines, hand painted bag, and some Valorant merch. However, Kyedae could not finish reading through one of the letters as it moved her and in her words, she “didn’t want to cry” and she “hates showing her emotion on the internet.” Kyedae reads messages from Riot and its employees The clip from JettShorts opens up with Kyedae reading one of the letters included from the Riot Games employees. “Hi Kyedae, our team has put together some of their personal favorite things that we love and find comforting, we hope these bring you the same sense of coziness and comfort that they do for us. Also included are a few of our favorite Valorant and Riot pieces,” read Kyedae from the letter. After she was done with the first letter Kyedae showed off some of the things included in the care package, like the figurines and the custom-painted bag, Kyedae said she will ornate the bag with her Valorant pins and bring it with her to the hospital. The content creator then tried to get through a personal letter from Anna, most likely Anna Donlon, but had to stop as she said she was on the verge of tears and she was “not in the mood to cry.” Kyedae continues to amaze her fans with her positive attitude, a good example of that is making fun of her diagnosis in her award speech at Streamer Awards.

  • Kai Cenat charged with inciting a riot after NYC giveaway goes awry – Dexerto

Kai Cenat charged with inciting a riot after NYC giveaway goes awry Kai Cenat | TwitchKai Cenat announced he’d be doing a giveaway in New York City during an IRL livestream, but the scene quickly turned to chaos as thousands of fans showed up. Kai Cenat has since been charged with inciting a riot. Kai Cenat is one of Twitch’s biggest streamers. A mix of celebrity cameos on stream, a massive subathon, and huge livestream events like his fourth of July firework war have put him on top of the livestreaming world. When streaming in front of hundreds and thousands of people, it can be hard to remember what thousands of people gathering in one place actually looks like. Kai Cenat announced he’d be doing an IRL stream in New York City, prompting fans to come out and support him. However, the number of fans that would show up was far greater than he anticipated. Kai Cenat giveaway quickly turns into a riot in New York City Kai severely underestimated how many people would show up to see him. Union Square was entirely flooded with thousands of people trying to meet their favorite streamer. The livestream was cut short as Kai Cenat tried to wade through the crowd of fans that quickly surrounded him upon walking outside. His security detail began escorting him away from the crowd immediately. The stream went back up a short time after it was interrupted, only for Kai to be lost in a sea of people. Locals began to take note, and it was quickly covered by news outlets in the area. Kai Cenat’s fans pushed each other to try and get to him, creating a massive mob all trying to meet the streamer. It’s important to note that Kai simply planned a giveaway and fan meetup, and didn’t make any direct effort to incite a riot or provoke his fans; he simply tweeted that he’d be in New York City giving away some free stuff. Since the mob formed, Kai has deleted all prior tweets mentioning the NYC meetup. Duke, one of Kai Cenat’s friends and a fellow content creator, was filmed being detained by police officers. Fans of his could be seen clinging to the car that Kai Cenat was allegedly driving away in, and the vehicle didn’t stop despite several people hanging onto the car. People could be seen falling off as the car sped away. Kai Cenat has since been arrested in connection to the events following his IRL stream and charged with unlawful assembly, inciting a riot, and other charges that haven’t yet been specified according to NYPD Chief of Department Jeffery Maddrey. NYPD press charges against Kai Cenat for inciting a riot NYPD Chief Maddrey took questions from the media during a press conference directly after the incident. When asked if “any kind of action would be taken” against Kai Cenat regarding the ordeal, the officer claimed that something would “absolutely” be done. “Absolutely,” the officer answered. “We’re in contact with the influencer. I have our legal team here. I’m going to have a discussion with our commissioner… and then we’ll make a decision there.” The officer has since confirmed that they’ll be pressing charges against Kai Cenat, specifically in regards to unlawful gathering and inciting a riot. That said, he didn’t rule out other charges being pressed against the streamer. According to reports from FOX news, police have made “quite a few” arrests at the riot.. Kai Cenat has since been released from custody but has yet to comment on the events that transpired during his giveaway. Meanwhile, footage has since been released of him carrying a child to safety and helping several of his fans amid the chaos. Though he’s received a great deal of criticism for the way this event was handled, many of Kai Cenat’s followers still hold him in high regard.

  • Riot Games features Boston Celtics’ Gordon Hayward in new video – Dexerto

Riot Games features Boston Celtics’ Gordon Hayward in new video The NBA season begins today and Riot Games honored one of basketball’s most outspoken gamers with a video about his devastating injury and subsequent recovery last year. Last year, in the Boston Celtics first game of the season, Gordon Hayward was a new addition to the roster after multiple all-star years playing for the Utah Jazz. Unfortunately, his season did not go as planned and he suffered a devastating leg injury only minutes into the season. That sets the stage for this video where Hayward is seen lying in his hospital bed watching the news cycle as he begins his recovery. Read More: Boston Celtics’ Gordon Hayward Claims to be the Best Fortnite Player in Professional Sports – On the outset, it may seem odd for Riot to make a video about an NBA player, but Hayward is an avid League of Legends fan who has defended gaming on the national stage and issued challenges to the rest of the league in a variety of games. Hayward morphs into Tryndamere during the video, his main character in LoL. While many other NBA players are involved with esports – former Lakers Shaq and Rick Fox are investors in NRG and the owner of Echo Fox respectively – no current player has been as much of an outspoken defendant of gaming as Hayward. When Colin Cowherd, the host of The Herd on Fox Sports One, called esports players “booger-eaters” and made the played-out references to competitors living with their parents or being virgins back in 2015, it was Hayward who went on his show and told him just how wrong he was.

  • Riley Hubatka finally clears up Bryce Hall relationship rumors – Dexerto

Riley Hubatka finally clears up Bryce Hall relationship rumors Instagram: brycehall / rileyhubatkaInfluencer Riley Hubatka has finally cleared up rumors about her and TikToker Bryce Hall, denying that they were in a relationship after months of fan speculation that the pair were romantically involved. Rumors that Bryce Hall and Riley Hubatka were together first sprung up around July 2021, after a video emerged of Bryce kissing a mystery girl in a club, who many claimed was Riley. The pair quickly responded to the speculation in a TikTok video at the time, in which Bryce said “she’s like my sister!” and Riley joked “get his name out of my comments immediately.” However, in the months following, fans continue to believe the pair were in some sort of relationship after several moments in Bryce’s YouTube vlogs, with them even sharing a kiss on camera. In August, Bryce firmly denied that they were seeing each other, but fans still weren’t convinced. Now, in an appearance on the BFFs podcast, Riley has explained her side of the situation, and maintained that she and Bryce were never together. “That was never a confirmed relationship,” she said. “I know that there were so, so many different theories about what was going on. People thought that we were hooking up.” However, Riley clarified: “We actually were not, we literally were just hanging out.” In response to claims that she was “clout farming,” she responded: “I’ll put it like this, I was in LA for a month and a half, two months. I was out there, I was just having a good time, hanging out with people that I normally don’t get to see, and were we flirting? Yeah, sure. But it was never a confirmed relationship. I was also leaving and we both knew that so nothing was ever gonna come out of it.” “We’re good friends, and nothing has really changed. Was I maybe being cryptic with some of my tweets? Yeah. I’m also kind of immature, so…” With the rumors denied on both sides, there’s no doubt that Bryce fans will be keeping an eye out on who the star could be involved with next.

  • Rin Penrose and four other Idol members are all graduating soon – Dexerto

Rin Penrose and four other Idol members are all graduating soon idol corpFive Idol members are graduating from the VTuber agency following Brave Group’s acquisition, with all of them opting to become independent. As announced by Idol Corp on their official X/Twitter account, five members are graduating in November 2024: Fuyo Cloverfield, Juna Unagi, Kattarina Qutie, Meica05, and Rin Penrose. Rin’s exit is an especially big blow for Idol, being the agency’s most popular VTuber with nearly 750,000 subscribers. The post confirmed, “We are sad to see them go, but we deeply respect the decision of Kattarina Qutie, Fuyo Cloverfield, Juna Unagi, Rin Penrose, and Meica05 to pursue their paths independently,” before revealing that a “dedicated farewell stream” will be hosted before they leave. Rather than expecting those graduating to buy back their IP and model, Idol will instead take an unspecified percentage of each talent’s revenue for one year, with the intellectual property being transferred to the graduated members once this period ends. Idol claims that this strategy has been implemented to ensure talents can “continue to grow their careers,” regardless of their financial situation when they depart. While exact figures are hard to come by and vary between companies, buying back an IP would likely cost each talent thousands of dollars. These five graduations follow Brave Group’s acquisition of Idol on August 1. Brave Group is a big player in the VTuber space, owning the likes of V4Mirai, VSPO!, and globie, as well as being affiliated with legendary duo HimeHina. After the takeover was announced, Idol allowed existing members to walk away from the company and become independent. While most talents turned down this opportunity, the aforementioned five will be moving on. Once these five VTubers graduate in November 2024, only eight of Idol EN’s existing members will remain. However, four Idol ES members are also staying, and a further four EN members are set to debut later this year in Generation 3. While Generation 3 was originally set to debut anytime now, their first streams have been pushed back to October to “ensure the highest quality debuts,” so fans will have to wait a little longer to learn more about Idol’s next wave.

  • Rifle-wielding streamer reveals details after drive-by shooting interrupts broadcast – Dexerto

Rifle-wielding streamer reveals details after drive-by shooting interrupts broadcast Twitch/50calaprA Twitch streamer who grabbed a rifle after a drive-by shooting at his apartment has revealed details behind the disturbing event. Last week, Escape From Tarkov streamer 50calapr’s broadcast was interrupted when a gang began shooting at his apartment building. Not wasting any time, the Twitch streamer grabbed his own gun behind his setup and rushed out of his room to confront the attackers. Speaking with Dexerto, 50calapr explained the situation he was in and what happened during the scary encounter in his crime-ridden Lexington neighborhood. Twitch streamer spills details after gang shoots at apartment According to the Tarkov streamer, he lives in a very rough part of Lexington where there have been homicides and other violent incidents. Things have gotten so bad that the police have begun to urge people to stay inside at night. However, that didn’t stop 50calapr from defending himself against what he later found out was a gang-related shooting. “In the clip you see me run out with my rifle, but by the time I got to the door in the hallway of the apartments they were already gone, so I put the rifle away and went out to make sure that no one needed first aid,” he explained. The streamer says that he’s close with the people who live in the apartments and after he checked on the target of the drive-by to see if they were okay, he moved on to check on a lady above him who he says is “like a mom” to him. “She was my number one concern, to be honest,” he added. “The police here in Lexington responded in a very fast and efficient time and were extremely nice to everyone.” So, if the area is so violent, why not move? Well, as a full-time med student, 50calapr says money is tight to the point where sometimes even getting food can be a struggle. That said, while he has had an increase in viewers since the scary shooting, he just plans to put any extra money he receives back into his content through upgrades or new games. Although some may look at the streamer’s heroic actions as something very American, 50calapr believes gun owners have a responsibility to themselves and others that some take for granted. “Learn the laws in your state take classes and be responsible,” he encouraged. “I see on the news all the time now someone shot someone because they pulled into their driveway or knocked on the wrong door. It’s wrong and gives the responsible gun owners a bad name and makes it harder for us to not justify more gun control.”

  • Rick Ross offers $10 million for anyone willing to box Jake Paul – Dexerto

Rick Ross offers $10 million for anyone willing to box Jake Paul Instagram: richforeverAmerican rapper Rick Ross is putting up the big bucks for anyone willing to fight Jake Paul after the YouTuber’s highly anticipated August 6 boxing match was suddenly canceled. Jake Paul’s boxing career has hit a slow spot following his rematch against former UFC champ Tyron Woodley in 2021. Paul was slated to make his comeback to the ring on August 6, but issues with two different opponents for the main card caused the event to get canned completely, causing the YouTuber to lose out on millions of dollars. However, there’s an unexpected ally in Jake’s corner who’s putting up some major cash for anyone willing to face off with ‘The Problem Child’ in the boxing ring. Rick Ross offers $10 to Jake Paul’s next opponent Rapper Rick Ross posted a selfie with Jake Paul to Instagram on August 22, where he offered up a whopping $10 million to make his next bout come to life. “Since everyone seems to be afraid to fight Jake Paul, I’m down to put another $10 million on top to make the right match happen,” he wrote. “What fight would you want to see? We talking big s**t on the homie podcast, so stay tuned.” Although it’s unclear who exactly Jake’s next opponent might be, it looks as though the younger Paul brother already has a bout in mind. According to the YouTube star, he’s got another match lined up for October, which he recently confirmed in a Tweet on August 24. Jake has given fans a few hints as to the identity of his next rival, claiming he’s taking on a “pro boxer” with a “winning record” similar to Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. — the two boxers he was supposed to fight on August 6 before things turned pear-shaped. With $10 million on the line from Rick Ross, there’s no telling how things will turn out for Jake’s next bout… but he’s definitely got some major support where it counts.

  • Rick Ross roasts KSI for declining Jake Paul’s free fight offer – Dexerto

Rick Ross roasts KSI for declining Jake Paul’s free fight offer YouTube: BS w/ Jake PaulRapper Rick Ross had some brutal words for YouTube star KSI after he purportedly declined rival influencer Jake Paul’s offer to fight him “for free.” Jake Paul and KSI’s ongoing rivalry has entered a heated new chapter after the latter’s groundbreaking double-victory at his August 27 comeback event. After defeating British rapper ‘Swarmz’ and Mexican pro boxer Luis Pineda, KSI is poised to finally meet his longtime rival in the ring — Jake Paul. The two have been beefing for years and even appeared to strike an agreement to fight in 2023 over Twitter… but Jake Paul says the Brit isn’t interested in some of his terms. During a recent podcast episode, Paul claimed that he’d happily take on KSI for free and forgo a potentially massive, multi-million dollar payday. “For me, this is not about the money,” he said. “For history. For me knocking out this b*ch ass motherf***er who talked all this sh*t. And if the only way he’d fight me is if he made all the money? Imma do it.” Rick Ross stunned after KSI declines Jake Paul’s offer for free fight Unfortunately, Jake also says that KSI turned him down when presented with the ‘free fight’ clause — and both Rick Ross and his own brother, Logan Paul, agreed. Rick Ross was starring as a guest on the podcast and said he wouldn’t allow Jake to take the fight for free before Jake dropped the info that it probably wouldn’t happen, anyway. “He already passed,” Jake clarified. “He already declined the offer.” “He declined the free offer?” Ross asked, thoroughly baffled. “He already declined it ’cause he’s scared!” Jake replied, and started to explain the situation before Ross interrupted with a zinger: “I smell p**y!!” (Topic begins at 44:30) It’s clear that Ross isn’t a fan of Jake Paul missing out on a major payout for one of YouTube boxing’s biggest fights — and although he featured on a song with KSI for his rematch against Logan Paul back in the day, it looks like the rapper’s allegiance has decidedly changed. For now, fans are hopeful they’ll see these two internet powerhouses face off in the boxing ring sometime soon as Jake gears up for his next match this October.

  • Rick Astley’s Rick Roll meme goes viral again with disturbing 4K remaster – Dexerto

Rick Astley’s Rick Roll meme goes viral again with disturbing 4K remaster YouTube: Official Rick Astley / RevideoRick Astley’s smash hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ has gone viral yet again after someone remastered it to make it 4k and 60fps – though many are finding the new version weirdly disturbing. [jwplayer pNjHVqy4] While plenty of memes have cropped up on the internet over the years, making a lasting impression on internet culture, none have had quite the staying power like the Rick Roll. For those that have somehow managed to avoid this phenomenon, a Rick Roll refers to when someone uses a disguised hyperlink to bait you into clicking it, only to have Rick Astley’s upbeat song ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ waiting at the other end of the link. The prank was popularized in 2007, but is still used frequently to this day, and proves to be either hilarious or very annoying, depending on which end of the Rick Roll you’re on. Now, YouTuber Revideo has sparked new life into the meme by remastering the original video in full 4k and 60 FPS, making it look more high quality than ever before. https://youtu.be/2ocykBzWDiM They explained in the description that it’s a “remastered music video with Topaz Video Enhance AI and RIFE (Flowframes)” and the results were impressive. Compared to the original, the remastered version runs a lot smoother, making Astley’s face a lot clearer and the dancing a lot more snappy. The reactions to the new version were certainly mixed, with some people loving the new and improved music video. “The future is now,” one person wrote, another saying “this is beautiful.” One user even said, “This makes me feel like Rick Astley is really here, Rick Rolling me in person.” https://twitter.com/SirPauer/status/1362335683302608897 However, some Twitter users felt strangely disturbed by the video. “Somebody remastered the Rick Astley video in 60 FPS 4k and I am deeply, deeply upset,” someone wrote, another saying “this is terrifying! Why is it so high quality?” https://twitter.com/ddalgitokki29/status/1362348800702963716 Somebody remastered the Rick Astley video in 60 fps 4k and I am deeply, deeply upset. https://t.co/qYuLrQwe0I — Zach Heltzel (@zachheltzel) February 18, 2021 Why exactly the remastered version of Never Gonna Give You Up has some people feeling freaked out is unclear, but people have already announced their plans to start using it as their new Rick Roll go-to.

  • Richard Lewis: Twitch file objection in Phantomlord case ruling – Dexerto

Richard Lewis: Twitch file objection in Phantomlord case ruling As many legal analysts expected, Twitch’s legal counsel have filed an objection against the court’s ruling that the $50,000 limited liability clause in their contract with the popular streamer James “Phantomlord” Varga was “unconscionable”. The decision was touted as a significant victory by Varga’s legal team as the ruling would allow him to seek uncapped damages for his removal from Twitch for a number of infractions. On a YouTube livestream Varga had stated that he wished to seek damages in the range of $35 million. The key argument to the court siding with the notion that the clause was “unconscionable” was that the limitation of damages, while applying to both parties, heavily favoured the corporate entity of Twitch. Varga’s earnings – which were reported to be in the region of $10,000 per month at the time the contract spanned – were also a factor in the judgment. On this basis it was reasoned that should Varga wish to seek damages for any reason, he could be entitled to a “much higher sum.” Naturally, Twitch’s legal team do not agree with this interpretation of the relevant case law and filed a nine-point objection in mid-October. As findings in the court’s ruling are initially only ‘tentative’ there is a chance that should the objections be deemed sound the court could reverse its ruling. The objection opens up by disputing the court’s findings that “it is not apparent that…Varga thought Own3D [the previous streaming service he was contracted to] was in serious financial difficulties or about to go under.” The rebuttal points out that this is contradicted by Varga’s own testimony under deposition, and this is substantiated by a testimony from former Twitch executive Stuart Saw that multiple streamers from Own3d had raised concerns about non-payment. It is their opinion that it is highly likely that Varga was aware of Own3d’s financial troubles and therefore this awareness played a factor in Varga’s decision to move to Twitch. This leads into the second point that the court found that Saw and Varga’s handler and confidant, Jason ‘Opie’ Babo, “went out of their way to induce Varga to believe that Own3d was doomed.” The grounds for objection here are that they believe the finding is vague and implies an act of deception on the part of the Twitch personnel. In actuality, if we take the first point as fact, Varga would have been well aware of Own3d’s financial problems and was well served in looking to jump ship. The company did not pay money owed to Varga so Twitch, as part of their agreement, paid this outstanding amount to make him “whole”. With all of these as factors Twitch’s lawyers state that there is no evidence to suggest Saw and Babo “induced” anyone to do anything. Further objection is raised by the court’s characterisation of the esports landscape at the time of the agreement. The tentative finding stated: “There were alternatives at the time, mentioned in Twitch’s Closing Brief at e.g., 10, but none compared to either Own3D or Twitch, and I find they were not practical alternatives for Varga.” Twitch’s counsel object to this interpretation on the grounds that the statement doesn’t explain why services that existed at that time were not “practical alternatives.” Addressing the court’s findings that Varga had not utilised any of his leverage during negotiations as he wasn’t aware he had any, Twitch’s lawyers pointed to several factors that they believe make this interpretation inaccurate. They point out that during testimony Twitch stated that Varga did negotiate and pushed them towards a higher revenue split and CPM during those negotiations. “This evidence is incompatible with the finding that Varga did not understand his bargaining leverage, but rather shows that he understood it and used it,” the lawyers conclude. They add that just because Twitch were keen to sign him and gave him the best deal doesn’t mean that he couldn’t have negotiated further. They also remind the court of several deposition transcripts from Twitch executives that point out that every term on the Twitch contract at that time was negotiable and it was standard practice for there to be redline re-issues of agreements between streamers. In regards to the court’s finding that, because Varga didn’t use an attorney during negotiations, “there was a significant disparity in legal sophistication” between the parties, the objection states that it falls short of meeting the legal standard that “oppression arises from an inequality of bargaining power that results in no real negotiation and an absence of meaningful choice.” They point to the earlier established facts that Varga, while not using an attorney, did negotiate terms and did so successfully. They ask the court to explain how any oppression took place or amend this part of their tentative findings. Twitch’s lawyers then go on to dispute the $10,000 per month figure, saying there was no substantiating evidence in the ruling that pointed to this being accurate. If it was accurate, they add, $50,000 of damages would be five times the individual’s monthly salary, which they state they believe to not be unreasonable. Furthermore, they add that following the court’s assumptions that $10,000 was the peak of Varga’s earnings that means that for large parts of the contract he earned less, making the $50,000 of damages even more reasonable by comparison. Finally, they dispute the court’s assertion that there is an “absence of justification for the limitation of liability.” Citing the findings in the case of Darnaa v. Google, which focused on YouTube, they argue that similarly Twitch “must maintain the ability to ensure the integrity, lawfulness and appropriateness of its services, which are offered for free to the public, without the threat of runaway liability from its hundreds of thousands of content providers based around the world.” They conclude that “Twitch cannot protect its users from this type of content if its management of that content is subjected to unlimited liability.” The court should now make a decision about whether to amend or alter its ruling based on these objections later in the month.

  • Richard Lewis: Big losses for FaZe in latest rulings from Tfue lawsuits – Dexerto

Richard Lewis: Big losses for FaZe in latest rulings from Tfue lawsuits Tfue / FaZe Clan[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]There has been further progress in the ongoing lawsuits between esports and influencer organisation FaZe Clan and popular streamer and Fortnite competitor Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. Initially, Tenney had wanted to be free from the contract he had signed with FaZe, citing a number of examples why he believed it was no longer binding. The ongoing dispute led to public displays of hostility from representatives of FaZe, who then followed up their public relations offensive by filing a counterclaim against Tenney for what they perceived to be a number of infractions on his part. At the core of the legal argument, as Tenney’s representation sees it, is whether or not the California Talent Agency Act (TAA) should apply. This is a law that prevents entities operating in the capacity of an agent without the proper licensing in the state and applies across the entertainment industry. As the contract between both parties stipulated that FaZe would act on behalf of Tfue as an agent, procuring work and sponsorship deals, it has been argued that it should apply as Tenney was a resident of California at the time of his contract. FaZe have no such license, however they have argued that as they conduct little business in California and have their offices elsewhere, the state specific law should not apply to them. They filed their counterclaim in the state of New York. Over the months, many components of the complaints have been eschewed as the judge assesses the strength of the arguments. In March, we reported that FaZe’s claim against Tenney for “misappropriation of trade secrets” was essentially dismissed as the organisation had not accurately characterised or understood what trade secrets are in the context of their business. Under consideration since then were a number of requests for summary judgment from both parties, which have now been resolved as of the latest documentation, which you can read here. It wasn’t a great day for FaZe Clan who found most of their requests for summary judgment denied by Judge Rakoff. Only being granted one of the six requests they made, the judge ruled that Tenney will not be able to avoid having to answer to a Southern District of New York court for Faze’s counterclaims. However, this will be a less daunting prospect given some of the other rulings in these lawsuits. Crucially, FaZe tried to argue that the much discussed Californian Talent Agency Act would not apply to them as the work they undertook in this manner occurred out of the state. However, the court held that not only would the original jurisdiction of California be the appropriate venue for Tenney’s claim, meaning the TAA would apply, they also called into question the veracity of the claims. The court noted that Tenney’s account director worked with other FaZe employees in Los Angeles at this time. FaZe had also asked for summary judgment on the right to collect a portion of the Fortnite Creator Code revenue. This was denied due to the content of a deposition from Richard “Banks” Bengtson and a video FaZe had put into the public domain that demonstrated they had no intention to collect that revenue until they filed they counterclaim against Tenney. “The Court accordingly takes note of the overwhelming evidence, introduced by Tenney, that the parties prior to this litigation did not intend the term “in-game merchandise” to encompass Tenney’s sales through the Support-A-Creator Program,” the court document reads. “First, Tenney cites deposition testimony from Richard Bengtson, aka “FaZe Banks,” a part-owner of FaZe Clan, that “we never had collected the [Creator] code [revenue], and up to this point in time, we had no intention” to do so. Second, and even more persuasively, Tenney includes in the record a link to a YouTube video, published by FaZe Clan on May 23, 2019 in which a representative of the organization expressly states that the contract between the parties does not require Tenney to split his Support-A-Creator revenue,” it continued. In closing, the judge noted that the “YouTube video raises a genuine dispute as to whether FaZe Clan is equitably estopped from collecting this revenue, particularly since the video was published as part of a public relations offensive to protect the organization’s image.” Another blow for FaZe came in regards to the judgment that pertained to non-compete clauses used in the original contract. FaZe had argued that Tenney had violated his contract by not adhering to the provisions of the non-compete clauses contained in their agreement. The court ruled that under §16600 of California’s Business and Professions code, invoked by Tenney’s counsel as a defence, the case law suggests that such in-term non-competes cannot be applied to independent contractors. “Although California courts have read §16600 not to bar in-term restraints in a contract between employer and employee,” the court document states, “These cases are inapposite because Tenney was not FaZe Clan’s employee.” The judge also noted that the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld such interpretations. Both of Tenney’s motions for summary judgment were denied. The most important of these was that the court was not persuaded that FaZe had breached the contract with Tenney by having delayed monthly payments by over a period of several months, payments that were then later issued by FaZe. As a result of this and several other engagements the court says this will have to proceed to trial as to determine whether the parties had entered into an implied-in-fact contract. Finally the court also denied the claim from Tenney that they should dismiss the tortious interference and personal enrichment claims against him. The court noticed that in his own deposition he admitted to having knowledge of sponsorship deals and the means to contact representatives from those brands. Based on this they say the matter can proceed to trial to discuss the facts of the case, which potentially leaves a door open for FaZe to recover some money from Tenney provided they can make a compelling case. Overall though, FaZe Clan will feel they came out of this the worse for wear. While Tfue will have to answer to FaZe’s claims in New York, the ruling of California as an appropriate jurisdiction for his claims against the organisation and the subsequent application of the Talent Agency Act to the actions of FaZe was a key component of this case. The date for the next set of proceedings will now be set with these rulings in mind. The outcome of this case is likely to have huge repercussions on the esports and influencer scenes as a whole, and will likely lead to a significant change in the way these organisations operate.

  • Richard Lewis: Is Twitch doing enough to protect children on its platform? – Dexerto

Richard Lewis: Is Twitch doing enough to protect children on its platform? Amazon-owned Twitch remains the number one live streaming platform on the market, having 15 million active daily users at last count. Policing such a sizeable platform is no mean feat and they have often found themselves publicly criticized simultaneously for being overzealous in some matters and ineffective in others. When it comes to a list of priorities over what needs to be done correctly though, none can rank higher than protecting children and young adults that use these internet-based platforms. Based on new findings, we call into question whether Twitch is doing enough in this regard. In February 2019, YouTube found itself at the center of a controversy after a user called Matt Watson highlighted what he called a “softcore pedophile ring” where special search terms could be used to find children in revealing clothing on the platform. Once one video was found, the suggestions put forward by YouTube would all be near identical content with the same search terms in the metadata. The comments for these videos would be filled with users telling the children how good they looked and making requests for other types of clothing to wear for future videos. Although YouTube didn’t make a public statement about Watson’s findings, shortly after they were made public they disabled comments on videos by children. Explaining their rationale in a blog post they said: “Over the past week, we disabled comments from tens of millions of videos that could be subject to predatory behavior. These efforts are focused on videos featuring young minors and we will continue to identify videos at risk over the next few months. Over the next few months, we will be broadening this action to suspend comments on videos featuring young minors and videos featuring older minors that could be at risk of attracting predatory behavior.” Naturally, there were several Reddit threads discussing the shocking find. Among that discussion, an account called ‘ThePonzo’ listed evidence of a similar situation occurring at Twitch. They posted several screenshots of children under 13 streaming via mobile phones or laptops with people in Twitch chat making several sexually suggestive requests. The post would be gilded and heavily upvoted and many users would make suggestions for the poster to share their findings with news outlets, several giving ideas as to which ones would be best. Twitch’s Travel & Outdoors section has become a hotbed for pedophiles. During this time, the anonymous user took their advice and contacted several publications they thought would be interested in the story. Nothing happened except Twitch suddenly deleted the incriminating VODs and banned a handful of the more egregious accounts. In the interests of transparency, it is worth noting that they suspect it was this publication that was responsible for contacting Twitch although they decided not to run the story. The Redditor continued to monitor the “Travel & Outdoors” section of Twitch. As this is the default category for the Twitch mobile app, this leads to many young children who are unaware of how to configure their channel streaming on this category. They would scroll down to the children who were streaming without adult supervision and had only one or two viewers. Consistently they would find Twitch accounts in the chat that seemed to be engaged in sexually inappropriate activity. Over the course of just 10 days, they found multiple instances of children, many of them apparently under the age of 13 – a requirement to stream on Twitch – having chat users make sexually suggestive comments to them. In addition to this, many of these users would also make requests of the children, asking them to perform certain acts for them that ranged from appealing to certain fetishes, to direct requests for sex acts to be performed on camera. The most concerning thing was the frequency with which they saw it happening. They could find instances most days they checked. By April, ‘SorryKnutILoveYou’ had grown frustrated at Twitch’s lack of action and publicly tweeted at Twitch Support with examples of the grooming. Despite him tagging esports journalist Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau in the tweet, who subsequently made a quote tweet to ask what Twitch were doing about it, nothing further came of that exchange. In May, they would make several more posts containing examples in the subreddit r/livestreamfail, a subreddit dedicated to discussing streaming culture. These would similarly be upvoted and users would make suggestions about the best way to try and get attention to what was happening. Somewhere my name came up and I awoke to a DM in my Twitter account the same day. After a brief conversation, they sent me an archive of videos and screenshots they had saved and told me to go through them. What I found within would turn my stomach. One example shows a user called “littlejimmy7676” continually requesting that two young girls strip for them and then states he wants to see her perform a sex act on camera. While the VOD of this stream is no longer publicly available on the site, videos left on their channel show the two girls referring to a “little Jimmy” and discussing which one of them will undress for him. The offending account is no longer available on Twitch, although it isn’t clear whether it was banned or the user themselves deleted it in a bid to evade any reprisals. In another example, a screenshot shows three users making suggestive remarks and requests, that includes the two underage girls being called “sexies,” one user asking if they would put on high heels for them and one making multiple requests for them to lick each other’s faces and then engage in a “twerk battle.” Again, two of these accounts are no longer on Twitch but one does remain on the site, with seemingly no action taken against them. In what is the most shocking and direct instance that we were shown, a user was talking about sending pictures of penises to two underage girls, asking for “lewd” images and also telling the girls to tickle each other. Although the VOD of this has lapsed, clips from that streaming session still on the channel also show the girls responding to requests to spread their legs and “try and do the splits.” In addition to this were several videos where children, many under the age of 13 and therefore should not be on the platform at all, were being told to change clothes and adopt sexual positions by the viewers. They would also be asked about whether or not they had a boyfriend. There was even a Twitch user who would consistently appear in these channels making sexually suggestive remarks. They had made no attempt to cover their tracks and made these comments from their main account, which as of writing has 326 followers and a fairly regularly streaming output. At first, I assumed that these examples had to be outliers, so I spent my time following the same methodology that the Redditor had. Across late May and early June, I too found examples just like the ones I was originally sent. The children would turn on their mobile phones, stream to the travel and outdoors section and within ten minutes someone would come to their chat and start behaving in a sexually inappropriate manner with the children. I even found one account called ‘lolitafarm’ that followed multiple Twitch accounts belonging to children and saw the person behind that account on multiple occasions asking children to do handstands and other activities on stream. I forwarded my findings to a senior member of Twitch staff who stated they would pass it on to one of their trust and safety team and request that they make contact with me for additional comment. Much like before what happened was some of the accounts belonging to children were banned, so I knew my complaints had indeed been seen, yet there was no contact forthcoming. I hadn’t shared everything with the Twitch staff member and had made that clear yet Twitch’s Trust & Safety team still hadn’t made any attempt to get in touch. Much like the Reddit user that had uncovered this before me I grew frustrated and publicly tweeted at Twitch Support on June 6th. Still nothing. @TwitchSupport Hi. I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone from the Trust & Safety team in regards to a story I am working on. So far I have had no response. Can someone from support help with this? — Richard Lewis (@RLewisReports) June 6, 2019 While covering this story something happened that I figured might be serendipitous. After the Artifact section of Twitch had been hijacked by some people who were broadcasting all manner of inappropriate conduct, from the Christchurch shooting footage to pornography, the company took swift action to quarantine the situation. Temporary restrictions were put in place to stop new accounts from streaming unless they had two-factor authentication in place. This, I figured, would be enough to deter most children from unsupervised streaming at least. It was made clear though that this would only be a temporary measure, which begs the question of why it isn’t implemented as a matter of course. Twitch’s terms of service are very clear that to stream on its platform you have to be at least thirteen years of age and if you are below eighteen then a parent or guardian must agree to the ToS on your behalf. However, when creating a new account on Twitch there is no age verification process. It only requires an email account. It also means that people who just want to have an account for the purposes of chat do not have to submit any identifying information to sign up. With Twitch being so popular and so many video games targeting a younger audience, the fact that children can gain access to a streaming platform so easily should be of great concern to everyone. We contacted the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and shared our findings. In recent years the charity has issued multiple warnings about the dangers of online technology from YouTubers interacting with underage children, to Fortnite potentially being a gateway for pedophiles. They were as disturbed by what we showed them as we were. Andy Burrows, Associate Head of Child Safety Online at the NSPCC, said: “Streaming sites like Twitch pose particular risks because they allow for two-way communication, making it easy for groomers to contact large numbers of children and leaving them exposed to inappropriate behaviour and content. Tech companies have shown time and again they won’t take the comprehensive steps needed to protect children from sexual grooming on their sites.” Burrows also added that if tech companies won’t take the proper preventative measures unprompted that it would fall on the government to make them do so. “It is therefore crucial the Government stays true to its word and sets-up an independent regulator as quickly as possible that has the power to make platforms adhere to child safety standards and ensures children are protected when they’re watching and playing their favourite games.” We are still waiting for comment from Twitch regarding our findings.

  • Rich Campbell files $3.6M defamation lawsuit over sexual assault allegations – Dexerto

Rich Campbell files $3.6M defamation lawsuit over sexual assault allegations Rich CampbellFormer OTK co-founder Rich Campbell has filed a defamation lawsuit over sexual assault allegations that led to him leaving the internet entirely. Back in December 2022, former Twitch streamer Rich Campbell was hit with allegations of sexual assault by fellow creator Azalia Lexi and several others. He quickly resigned from his position as OTK co-founder and left a note on his Twitter/X page revealing that he would address the allegations soon — only to go completely MIA for the following months. On January 4, 2024, YouTuber Henry Resiliant uploaded a video revealing that both Rich and Azalia have filed lawsuits against each other with Campbell’s being a defamation lawsuit to the tune of $3.6 million. Rich Campbell files lawsuit against Azalia Lexi On December 4, 2023, Azalia Lexi filed a lawsuit against Rich Campbell claiming he sexually assaulted her and that she wants the suit to be handled in front of a jury. Just days later, on December 13, Campbell filed a countersuit that includes defamation, several contract violations, and emotional distress. His lawsuit asks for $3.6M in damages. None of the parties — Rich, Lexi, or any of the other women involved — have commented publicly about the lawsuit and likely won’t due to legal reasons. Shortly after Dexerto published this article, a rep for Rich’s lawyer, Brian Turnauer, reached out with a statement from the attorney. “Rich Campbell dedicated his entire adult life to creating content and building one of the most successful brands in the Twitch sphere. All of that work was dismantled in a matter of hours when a woman with whom he had a consensual sexual relationship became enraged after he refused to pursue a more committed relationship and posted false statements on social media meant to destroy Mr. Campbell’s life and livelihood,” he said. “Mr. Campbell is determined to get justice not just for himself but also for others who may become the targets of future online revenge campaigns based on unproven accusations and lies.” We’ll keep you updated as the legal situation continues to evolve, but in the meantime, you can keep it locked to Dexerto for more news.

  • Rich viewer donates $40k to get streamer unbanned from NoPixel GTA RP – Dexerto

Rich viewer donates $40k to get streamer unbanned from NoPixel GTA RP Twitch: MingA rich Twitch viewer donated $40,000 towards getting a GTA RP streamer – Ming – unbanned from the popular NoPixel server after three years, and fans are pretty pleased by the outcome. While it may not be as popular as it was with the initial NoPixel 3.0 boom, GTA RP continues to go strong on Twitch. Hundreds of thousands of viewers tune in daily to follow the exploits of their favorite characters and groups, almost as if it is a TV show. Back in the early days of RP, viewers flocked to watch Ming – a popular streamer whose character joined the Chang Gang group alongside LordKebun, Summit1g, Ramee, and many more. Though, he was banned from NoPixel’s main server back in 2019 after a few heated confrontations with police and server staff. The streamer got a reprieve in 2021 when NoPixel launched its public server, and Ming was allowed to roleplay on there, striking up a relationship with xQc. Though, there has always been a clamor to see him back on the main server with the characters he’d come up alongside. GTA RP streamer Ming finally gets unbanned Well, Ming finally got his wish on July 28 when NoPixel’s owner – Koil – hosted a charity stream and suggested that the streamer would be unbanned if he reached his goal of $100k in donations. Some donations trickled in as a result, and while no one truly knew if he was telling the truth, one rich viewers – incivik from Saudi Arabia – shot the thing to a whole new level with $40,000 worth of donations. He had one simple message for Koil as he propelled the stream to it’s massive six-figure goal – unban Ming. The NoPixel owner was blown away by the generosity, saying: “Oh my God. Holy f**king sh*t. You are actually insane.” Koil noted that he’d been considering dropping Ming’s ban anyway, but it seems like the outpouring of community support really sped the process up. Since the charity stream concluded, viewers have gotten to see Ming hang out with a few familiar faces and roleplay the fact he’s been ‘released from prison’ for the first time in three years. We can’t wait to see what he gets into next.

  • Rich Campbell and Maya go viral with hilarious tortilla slap challenge – Dexerto

Rich Campbell and Maya go viral with hilarious tortilla slap challenge Twitch: MayaTwitch streamers Rich Campbell and Maya sent fans into hysterics after their tortilla slap challenge went viral on Reddit and Twitter. The TikTok Tortilla Trend saw a huge resurgence in 2022 since its beginnings in the previous year. Since then, various celebrities have taken part in the bizarre challenge, much to their fans’ delight. The basic premise is that competitors fill their mouths with water and then slap each other in the face with a tortilla. The aim of the game is to not spill any water from the hit or from laughing too much. Twitch stars Rich Campbell and Maya decided to face off against each other in the game. After Maya lost out on a ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ match, Rich landed a blow which had viewers in stitches. Rich Campbell and Maya face off in TikTok Tortilla Slap Challenge Maya had her friends Rich and fellow Twitch streamer Cyr were taking part in the tortilla TikTok trend on August 6. After Maya lost a game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ against Rich, he slapped her with a tortilla. However, he clearly went a little too hard as the hit managed to propel her glasses off her face and into the distance. As Maya tried hard not to laugh, Rich quickly rushed to her for a hug. Then when she collapsed on the floor in hysterics he couldn’t hold his laughter in any longer and spat water all over her. The clip soon found its way to social media, picking up 3.1k likes on Reddit as of writing with many laughing over Rich’s “immediate “don’t tell mom its not that bad” hug.” However, over on Twitter, one stream viewer claimed the epic blow was all his fault as his suggested that the two “fold” the wraps “for more slapping power.” Obviously, Maya was taken aback by Rich’s powerful hit. However, as she somehow managed not to spill any water, she had the last laugh in the end.

  • Ricegum’s Spotify hacked with diss track by KSI fans – Dexerto

Ricegum’s Spotify hacked with diss track by KSI fans KSI/RicegumIf you queued up Ricegum’s Spotify on July 13, you could have been treated to an unexpected new diss track targeting the creator posted by some KSI fans. Anyone who follows either KSI or Ricegum will know there’s no love lost between the two content creators. Recently, Ricegum even said KSI was a “waste of clout,” while Olatunji shot back that he was just “salty” about his lack of success. A fresh diss track to reignite the beef wasn’t what anyone saw coming though, but that’s just what some people heard on Spotify on July 13. The only problem, though, was that it definitely wasn’t posted by Ricegum, even though it was on his page. View this post on Instagram As you can see in the Instagram post above, the now-deleted track was called “TEAM KSI” and featured a very basic beat, with “Ricegum is a b****” repeating over and over. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that it’s not in fact Ricegum on the mic, either. Obviously, his Spotify somehow got hacked, but the track hadn’t been removed at the time of writing this article, and could still be found on his artist page for anyone who wanted to listen. It most likely will get taken down eventually though, but we wouldn’t mind seeing Ricegum and KSI each post reaction videos on the track. It could be some great content. It’s not the first time we’ve seen an influencer’s Spotify get hacked, either. In October of 2020 hackers targeted Charli D’Amelio’s page on the site, and in December the same year TikTok star Griffin Johnson confirmed his page had been compromised as well. Just how long the Ricegum track will be up remains to be seen, but knowing both content creators, it’s probably safe to say one of them may have a comment or two about it down the road.

  • RiceGum’s girlfriend loses it after catching him facetiming models on Twitch – Dexerto

RiceGum’s girlfriend loses it after catching him facetiming models on Twitch YouTube: RiceGum / Instagram: MiaFrancisYouTuber RiceGum found himself in hot water during his May 22 Twitch stream, after his girlfriend Abby Rao caught him facetiming Instagram models and asking lewd questions. RiceGum, real name Brian Le, first made his name on the internet through his livestreams, where he would often facetime women while playing Call of Duty in the background. He took a break from that type of content for a while, as he focused on growing his YouTube channel and connections with FaZe Clan, but has brought back his old streams on a handful of occasions. Inviting models on, with the promise of free promotion for their social channels, RiceGum will typically ask questions from his chat – many of which are unsurprisingly crude. However, it appears that RiceGum’s girlfriend, Abby Rao, was less than pleased with one model guest, heard screaming and insulting her in the background. “I just watched the fucking stream, you dumb fuck, dumb whore, bitch!,” she exclaimed, as RiceGum pleaded with her to “chill”. Not happy with the situation, Abby then demanded RiceGum to end the call with the model, Mia Francis, and he obliged, saying he will call her back in two minutes. True to his word, RiceGum soon called Mia back, saying “Abby, if you’re watching, it’s not what it looks like – we’re just getting the stream lit!” The stream was ended soon after as Abby took issue with RiceGum’s “disrespectful” behavior, but fans are expecting the ‘facetiming models’ streams to return soon to his Twitch channel. RiceGum has also come under fire for his many YouTube videos which often use women stripping (usually taking off an item of clothing for every kill he gets in a game), with much of his audience believed to be very young.

  • Ricegum & Tyler1 escaped Twitch bans because they “got viewership” claim former staff – Dexerto

Ricegum & Tyler1 escaped Twitch bans because they “got viewership” claim former staff Twitch: Ricegum / Tyler1Following a leaked ‘do not ban’ list that was reportedly in use by Twitch around five years ago, it has been claimed by former Twitch staff that some streamers, including Tyler1 and Ricegum, avoided bans from the platform due to their popularity. On October 8, a data leak revealed a ‘do not ban’ list that was allegedly in use by Twitch. The list featured big-name streamers and Twitch staff members, and what appeared to be instructions about reports that may be received about their accounts. However, this list is said to be very old and no longer in use according to former Twitch staff. Speaking to the Washington Post, former staffers said that the list was around five years out of date. Further, the list was not blanket protection for these streamers, but rather a specific set of instructions to not ban under certain circumstances, and instead escalate the report. Two of the most recognizable names on the list were Ricegum and tyler1. Both streamers with millions of followers, and still popular today, they were two of the biggest names on the platform back in 2016. According to one former Twitch staffer: “RiceGum got partnership [his] removed way back in the day, but Twitch refused to ban him outright because he got viewership.” Despite no longer being a partner, he was given partner-like treatment and the opportunity to talk to staff “instead of being suspended by the admin team.” Similarly, tyler1 was said to be in a similar situation. “I do remember RiceGum and Tyler1 both being given way more grace than they should have been, and if one of us admins reported them [to the partner conduct team] anyway, we were told to kick rocks and pay attention to the do not ban list,” the former Twitch staffer noted. Although the ‘do not ban’ list didn’t offer complete protection, some streamers were “treated with more chances or abilities than others.” Ice_Poseidon and NoSleepTV, two streamers who have since been banned by Twitch, were also apparently given more chances, before eventually being issued their indefinite suspensions. The controversial ‘do not ban’ list is apparently no longer used at all, and rather, Twitch uses a more “standardized” process of moderation. However, one of the former staffers still thought it possible that some streamers are given “extra slack,” but that if they were, it wouldn’t be kept hush by way of a secretive list of names.

  • Ricegum weirded out as fans get “mad close” after seeing him streaming IRL – Dexerto

Ricegum weirded out as fans get “mad close” after seeing him streaming IRL YouTube: RiceGumInternet sensation Brian ‘RiceGum’ Le had somewhat of a strange encounter with two fans who ‘stream sniped’ him during an IRL stream and were acting a bit strange in the background. While IRL (in-real-life) streaming can be incredibly entertaining for viewers, it presents plenty of dangers and worries for streamers themselves. They can easily get caught up in their stream and forget where they’re going, or they might have to deal with someone messing with their stream as they try to get around. The latter happened to RiceGum during his July 3rd stream as he tried to chat with fans while outside of his usual streaming space, and he didn’t take too kindly to two stream snipers who were bothering him. As the Clout House member sat on stream and chatted with viewers, two males appeared behind him, calling out his name and trying to strike up a conversation with him. The streamer dapped up the two stream snipers, but as one got too close to him and started talking about the Adin Ross beef, he wanted them to move on. “Can you back up? Do ya’ll want a picture? Then get out of my way,” he said. “Alright, well get out of my space bro.” Rice eventually got the pair to back up and told them that they could chill if they wanted, but they’d gotten too close and were acting “weird” in doing so. “Bro, these squeakers. Bro, come on, stop. Get out of my face bro,” he exclaimed. https://twitter.com/MobTye/status/1411515862901833728 RiceGum eventually asked the two snipers to “dip” and they obliged, but he was frustarted with how they’d been acting. He didn’t quit his stream, though, and just carried on. It is just another example of how random and annoying IRL streaming can be.

  • RiceGum slams H3H3 after criticising his involvement in alleged gambling scam – Dexerto

RiceGum slams H3H3 after criticising his involvement in alleged gambling scam RiceGum, H3H3 – YouTubePopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is lashing out at H3H3’s Ethan Klein, after Klein took issue with his video explaining his partnership with alleged scam website ‘MysteryBrand.net.’ Klein joked that RiceGum was a snitch, after the YouTuber cited a slew of other creators on the platform who had partnered with the brand, noting that they were not undergoing the same scrutiny as himself or Jake Paul for being involved in the scandal. RiceGum took issue with Klein’s joke, clarifying that he didn’t intend to throw other YouTubers under the bus, but was rather trying to make a point concerning the outrage around the debacle. “I wasn’t trying to throw those guys under the bus,” RiceGum explained. “I was trying to say that those guys were big YouTubers that did the same thing way before me. Why is it a problem now?” RiceGum went on to insult Klein, poking fun at his age and joking that he was being bullied by him. He then went on to dig up dirt from the YouTuber, comparing his own scandal with that of Klein’s partnership with online counseling service Better Help, which was largely decried across the internet after users took issue with the site’s shady terms of service. “He thinks people are too quick to hop on things when it’s about him, but when it’s about me, he be the first one there!” RiceGum argued. RiceGum went on to find it ironic that Klein listed other YouTubers who had also partnered with Better Help, joking that he was snitching on the likes of Shane Dawson and Philip DeFranco. Klein has yet to respond to RiceGum’s callout on his social media accounts.

  • RiceGum teases new diss track while revealing upcoming single – Dexerto

RiceGum teases new diss track while revealing upcoming single Instagram: RiceGumYouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum‘ Le has teased the release of a brand-new diss track while offering fans a preview of his next upcoming single on Twitter. The 23-year-old is one of the most controversial creators on YouTube, and has been known to create diss tracks aimed at those who he feuds with, creating songs about Gabbie ‘TheGabbieShow’ Hanna and Jake Paul. The American also releases his own singles, and while RiceGum didn’t release any new music in 2019, it appears that his music will return in 2020, giving his fans a preview of his new track on Twitter, while also teasing fans with an unreleased diss track that also seems set for release this year. In a tweet posted January 4, RiceGum previewed a snippet from his currently untitled single, taking a recording from his phone of the 2-minute, 32-second track allowing fans to hear 38 seconds of the song ahead of its release. The file is titled “Rice 2020 January,” prompting many to believe that the full version will be released before the end of the month, however, the YouTuber has yet to confirm any release date. Despite claiming that the snippet would only be live for one minute, the track remains available a full day later, and with pretty of time to analyze the recording, it appears that the YouTuber also has a diss track ready to go, as the other media file on his phone is named “DISSTRACK 2020 FIRE.” Who this diss is aimed at remains unknown, with RiceGum not currently embroiled in any public spats, but the YouTuber has a long and storied history of releasing tracks talking about his fellow creators, and even went platinum with “It’s Everyday Sis,” a song aimed at Jake Paul featuring his ex-girlfriend Alissa Violet. Since the tweet, the YouTuber who boasts over 10 million subscribers on the platform has remained silent on social media, leaving fans to wonder which creator finds themselves in the crosshairs of RiceGum, and when we’ll get to hear it. Of course, it could also be a tool to build hype for his new track by convincing fans to stay tuned for his next public feud, as he refrained from offering fans an opportunity to give it a brief listen.

  • RiceGum shades Jake Paul during Ace Family $100,000 basketball event – Dexerto

RiceGum shades Jake Paul during Ace Family $100,000 basketball event RiceGum, YouTube / Jake Paul, InstagramPopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le fired some not-so-subtle shots toward social media star Jake Paul during the Ace Family charity basketball event, which threw down on January 11. RiceGum faced off against Paul and other internet celebs in a test of skill to determine who would win a whopping $100,000 for charity of their choice. In order to take the prize, the YouTubers had to be the first contestant to make ten baskets in a row without dropping a shot – which proved to be quite a feat for those participating in the challenge. Jake Paul ended up scoring the second seat in the lineup – which placed him right next to RiceGum’s spot on the court. RiceGum commented on their close proximity during his vlog of the experience, where he threw some playful shade toward Paul. “I don’t know why he put me next to this guy,” RiceGum said of Ace Family patriarch Austin McBroom’s methods, after which the camera cut to a closeup of Paul distractedly looking into the camera. “Jake Paul – did you do this on purpose?” McBroom teased over the mic. Despite McBroom’s teasing, the two YouTube rivals were seen making friendly conversation shortly thereafter, after which RiceGum found himself out of the running upon missing a shot in the lineup. In the end, none of the invited YouTubers completed the challenge; McBroom’s buddy took the prize after being gifted an honorary spot in the competition, managing to make all ten shots thanks to his career in college basketball. The Ace Family themselves were recently in the news due to a controversial video, in which McBroom purchased a phallic lollipop for his toddler from a Spencer’s store in early January.

  • RiceGum shares surprising reaction to being called out by H3H3, PewDiePie for gambling scheme – Dexerto

RiceGum shares surprising reaction to being called out by H3H3, PewDiePie for gambling scheme RicegumYouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le responded to the recent flurry of reactions to his decision to promote a luxury item gambling site on his videos. RiceGum released a video on December 31 of him using the gambling site and giving various reactions to items he had won, however content creators such as Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and H3H3’s Ethan Edward Klein took issue with the promotion of the scamming site to his audience. In his video, Ricegum suggested that he meant no harm with the video likening the move as a routine creation of promotional content that he thought was fairly normal practice. “I need to clear this up, cause I don’t even think it’s a big deal,” Ricegum said. Although he explains that the deal he was given to promote the gambling site was lucrative enough to think nothing of it, he did see how his actions garnered such a large reaction. “I don’t know man, I do feel bad,” RiceGum said. “Like, I’m kind of defending myself, but I do know that I’m somewhat in the wrong.” Afterward, he cut to Klein’s denouncement of the video, where Klein outlined how those kinds of promotions can create early unhealthy habits in vulnerable viewers. RiceGum took one last chance to apologize to his viewers while throwing out Amazon gift card codes for anyone to claim. Hours after his video dropped, RiceGum appeared on Twitch streamer RajjPatel’s Reverse King of the Hill segment where he gave a brief and brazen response to the issue, leading viewers to suspect him of being “fake.” Given the amount of traction this situation has garnered already, this surely won’t be the last we hear on the matter.

  • RiceGum responds after Jake Paul claims he’s broke & working at McDonald’s – Dexerto

RiceGum responds after Jake Paul claims he’s broke & working at McDonald’s Jake Paul / RicegumRiceGum has responded to Jake Paul’s claims that he has no money and is working at McDonald’s since stepping away from YouTube. In 2016, it’s fair to say Bryan ‘RiceGum‘ Le was one of the biggest stars on the internet — amassing over 10 million subscribers for his skits and diss tracks toward fellow creators. Slowly but surely, RiceGum would begin uploading less frequently, until for reasons unknown, he’d completely stop making videos in 2020. Fans have since been left in the dark, besides the occasional stream, speculating as to what RiceGum is up to since giving up YouTube, where according to Jake Paul, the popular YouTuber is working at a fast food chain to make ends meet. Ricegum responds after Jake Paul claims he has no money Returning for a surprise Twitch stream on May 26, RiceGum reacted to a clip of Jake Paul — who earlier this year claimed that the YouTube star is now working at McDonald’s since he stopped uploading videos. “You’re telling me that RiceGum is not working at McDonald’s right now?” said Jake. “Guaranteed.” While others disputed Jake’s claims, the ‘Problem Child’ still insisted that RiceGum has no money. “There’s not a shot in hell Ricegum has a dollar to his name,” he added. It’s fair to say the comments took Ricegum by surprise. Although rather than hit out Jake, Ricegum elaborated, explaining how it may seem from an outside view that he has no money. “That’s crazy,” he said reacting on stream. “Nah man that is crazy, I mean people might think that. “I mean think about it guys if I made all my money, like if I post a video to make money and then I stop making videos, then you’re like oh he doesn’t have money coming in. Also Jake lived in LA, I lived in LA and I guess Jake knows how expensive, bro life is expensive.” After close to three years since his last video upload, Ricegum returned with a YouTube video on April 27 titled “Baby Girl” — announcing that his first child with his girlfriend Ellerie was born stillborn.

  • RiceGum responds to KSI using ex-girlfriend Abby Rao in Sidemen video – Dexerto

RiceGum responds to KSI using ex-girlfriend Abby Rao in Sidemen video JJ Olatinji, Abby Rao, RiceGum – YouTubeYouTube star Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is hitting back at fellow content creator KSI after the British entertainer used Rice’s ex-girlfriend, Abby Rao, in a recent video with the Sidemen. Ricegum and KSI are no strangers to drama, with Ricegum having insulted KSI’s music during an April 10 episode of the Mom’s Basement podcast, calling his own songs “better” than his rival’s. While KSI claimed in a later interview that he had no interest in releasing a diss track against Ricegum over his comments, it seems that the tables have since turned, with the star using Rice’s ex-girlfriend in a video with the Sidemen as a way to seemingly get back at him for the insult. The Sidemen uploaded a video on May 24 that placed the group on a collective “blind date” with various female internet celebrities. Among those casted for the video was Rao, who split with RiceGum in late 2019 and was later the subject of drama due to an alleged contract between them, said to take a percentage of her earnings upon their breakup. Despite KSI and RiceGum’s ongoing feud, Rao was in good spirits, taking jokes and laughing with the group of UK YouTube stars — a development that RiceGum was quickly made aware of. (Rao’s appearance starts at 32:53) Le commented on the matter in a Tweet that same day, writing, “People saying I’m mad cause KSI used my ex in a video. First off, I dumped her ’cause I don’t want her, so go ahead, and second, everyone in Sidemen’s girlfriend or ex ugly [as f**k], so I can never use them. This is unfair.” People saying I’m mad cause KSI used my ex in a video . First off I dumped her cause I don’t want her so go ahead and 2nd Everyone in sidemen girlfriend or ex ugly af so I can never use them, this is unfair 🙁 — RiceGum (@RiceGum) May 24, 2020 It seems that KSI’s casting of Rao might not be the only slight against his YouTube rival, with Genius also appearing to confirm the long-awaited RiceGum diss track on his new album, Dissimulation, titled, “Untitled RiceGum Diss (Ft. Rich the Kid).” Although KSI at first appeared to be above RiceGum’s comments, it seems that he has taken the offensive with his latest video and potential diss track. Who knows — Rice could even be KSI’s next boxing opponent, although the British star made sure to clarify that his upcoming bout with Jake Paul would be his last stint in the ring. UPDATE: RiceGum has since uploaded a YouTube video reacting to KSI’s inclusion of Rao in the Sidemen’s “blind date” project, expressing confusion as to why he seemed to be targeted by the group and throwing further shade toward KSI’s exes. “On a serious note, when is this gonna stop?” Le asked. “Like, this is just too far now. Why is he coming after me? He’s one of the biggest YouTubers, bro. I don’t know what to do.” KSI has yet to react to RiceGum’s video at the time of writing.

  • RiceGum opens up on alleged assault against YouTuber Gabbie Hanna – Dexerto

RiceGum opens up on alleged assault against YouTuber Gabbie Hanna Logan Paul, Gabbie Hanna – YouTubePopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le appeared in an episode of Logan Paul’s ‘imPaulsive’ podcast on January 5, where he spoke out on allegations of assaulting social media star Gabbie Hanna at a party in March of 2017. According to SnapChats from Hanna during the time of the incident, RiceGum had struck her in the middle of a party and shattered her phone. While RiceGum later refuted these claims, he went on to speak about the situation on Paul’s podcast over a year later, where he described the incident in detail from his perspective. “I’m sitting on the couch chilling, and she deadass comes up to me recording, talking shit,” RiceGum said of the situation. “Halfway through that video, she has her phone like this and looked mad weak, I said whoosh, snatched that shit, snatched that shit quick as hell, and then I did that,” he continued, mimicking pulling the phone out of Hanna’s hand. RiceGum went on to clarify that he never hit Hanna, and speculated that she may have been drunk at the time of the scuffle. “Yeah, no, I didn’t hit her,” he stated. RiceGum’s claims were corroborated by YouTuber Romeo Lacoste, who claimed that Le had even sent Hanna $2,000 to pay for the phone. Snapchats from Hanna show her challenging RiceGum to a rap battle at the party, with RiceGum looking visibly unenthused. Hanna later showed what appeared to be a bruise on her left knee, going on to claim that RiceGum had damaged her phone’s back camera and shattered the screen. Hanna has yet to respond to RiceGum’s latest statement on the scandal.

  • RiceGum reacts to getting banned on Twitch after controversial stream – Dexerto

RiceGum reacts to getting banned on Twitch after controversial stream RiceGum Instagram / TwitchPopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Quang Le was surprised after getting banned from Twitch following a controversial stream. The successful YouTuber was making a strong comeback on Twitch with Fortnite and Just Chatting streams before the platform issued his channel its first ban in 2020 on April 8. Although the precise reason for his ban is unclear, RiceGum recently streamed along with two women who agreed to kiss if the channel reached 21,000 viewers. A shot of a woman’s backside was briefly shown later on, but was quickly taken down by the streamer. In fact, immediately after he saw that the woman’s stream changed from the front camera showing her face to the back camera showing her friend’s image, RiceGum scrambled to take it off from his feed. “What? Wait, what?” RiceGum said in confusion. “Is that allowed [on Twitch]? Yo, stream, I apologize.” The ban came swiftly after clips of that moment started spreading around YouTube and fail-threads that highlighted the sudden gaffe during his broadcast. https://twitter.com/RiceGum/status/1248018121102725129 He was startled that the image appeared on his livestream, but encouraged his viewers to go to her Instagram Live to watch along with him instead. After the incident, RiceGum didn’t think much of the mishap, saying: “No, they were wearing pants, guys. They were those short-shorts. Ain’t no ban, bro. What are you talking about?” RiceGum was handed the ban less than a month after restarting his streams on Twitch in mid-March. This isn’t the first time the streamer has been in hot water with Twitch. In 2014, he briefly showed an application that looks to have been a view-botting program during one of his broadcasts. In 2018, he was banned for an unknown reason linked to either mentioning Ice_Poseidon in conversation or brandishing a BB gun on stream. As with any suspension that Twitch hand out, no one knows how long RiceGum will be barred from streaming on the platform.

  • RiceGum lashes out at YouTube after yet another video takedown – Dexerto

RiceGum lashes out at YouTube after yet another video takedown Popular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le continues to have beef with YouTube, after yet another video of his was removed from the platform. RiceGum’s latest video, which he stated was uploaded after nearly a month of inactivity, was taken down by YouTube for apparently violating its terms of service. RiceGum posted a screenshot of YouTube’s email over the matter, and admitted that his upload schedule was sparse due to this very problem. “The reason I hardly ever upload is because every video I make seems to always get restricted or monetized,” he explained in a now-deleted Tweet. “YouTube hates me.” Had your video reviewed again and the team confirmed this was a mistake on their side. It should be back up now, our apologies! — Team YouTube (@TeamYouTube) October 4, 2018 The Team YouTube Twitter account responded to RiceGum’s frustrations and admitted that the error had been on their side, going on to re-upload the video to his channel. However, that wasn’t the end of it – the video was taken down a second time, much to Team YouTube’s apparent surprise. “Whatttt, yes checking!” they replied. In a third response, Team YouTube revealed the problem to be a “technical issue,” and are currently investigating the occurrence. RiceGum’s video has yet to be uploaded a third time, and he has posted no further updates on the matter to his Twitter account. His complaints are a small drop in the slew of issues YouTubers have taken up with the platform. Other large-scale creators like Philip DeFranco have similarly addressed the problem, with an array of his uploads having been both suppressed and demonetized. However, this isn’t just a problem for popular YouTubers – small-time creators are likewise harmed by YouTube’s algorithm, and the issue is one that continues to be addressed as more and more creators come forward about the dilemma.

RiceGum moves to Rumble despite offer from Kick Twitch: RiceGumRiceGum has officially moved to Rumble after teasing a major platform switch on July 4, saying the platform was in competition with Kick to sign him. Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le might be known for his content on YouTube, but he’s also started streaming on Twitch, where he currently boasts over one million followers. However, he claimed that he’d be making a major platform switch on July 4, showing an image of himself looking at several hats, all emblazoned with the logos of different streaming sites. Fans hypothesized that he’d be making the move to Kick – but much to their dismay, RiceGum has chosen a different platform. RiceGum officially moves to Rumble On July 5, RiceGum revealed that he has signed an official contract with Rumble, saying he’s “locked in” to create content for a set amount of hours per month. That’s not all; he also revealed why he took the deal over Kick, saying that Rumble offered him more money. He also claimed that Kick would have required him to gamble in order to make the most money possible. “The Rumble deal just looked better,” he admitted. “I could stream [there], but in order to make the most possible on Kick, they wanted me to gamble for 30 days.” “I’m just excited to really lock back in,” he added. “This is exciting for me, in my opinion. Rumble had the bag, bro. I didn’t realize Rumble had the bag like that.” This is just the latest massive creator to move to Rumble after Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed moved to the platform after scoring their very own show on the site earlier this year.

  • RiceGum hits back at Pokimane for bringing up assault joke he made “five years ago” – Dexerto

RiceGum hits back at Pokimane for bringing up assault joke he made “five years ago” Twitch: Pokimane/Instagram: @RiceGumYouTuber and Twitch streamer RiceGum has accused Pokimane of using his past against him, claiming that people change and learn from their mistakes. Despite taking a long break from YouTube, RiceGum remains one of the most recognizable faces on the platform and has recently begun streaming regularly on Twitch. With an average of 17,000 viewers and over 4,000 loyal subscribers, Rice has a passionate and dedicated fanbase. However, despite being successful on the platform, he’s got himself into some drama, and this time it involves Pokimane. It all began after Pokimane reacted to a clip of Rice and brought up an insensitive comment he’d made in the past regarding sexual assault. This spurred Rice to respond to her, claiming five-year-old mistakes don’t portray the person someone is today. RiceGum claims Pokimane is using the past against him During his July 6 stream, RiceGum reacted to a clip of Pokimane where she claims that because he’s made insensitive statements regarding sexual assault in the past, he shouldn’t be able to comment about it now. This spurred RiceGum to respond, arguing that mistakes from the past don’t portray someone’s character today. He even brought up a controversial clip from Pokimane’s past, voicing she’s grown as a person since then, and so has he. “So because I made a joke like five years ago, I can’t defend myself… there’s clips of Pokimane saying the N-word a long time ago, but she’s a changed person, she’s not the same person she was a long time ago.” Shortly after this clip was made, Pokimane reacted to it after finding it on the LivestreamFail subreddit. While she maintained that people should be aware of the mistakes they’ve made in the past when they comment on sensitive issues, she agreed with Rice that people can change. “No Rice, I’m not saying you haven’t changed… I’m saying that if you are cognizant of the mistake you’ve made in the past, maybe you shouldn’t say other people are making that mistake too”. Topic starts at 0:28 For now, it looks like the situation has been diffused after both of them have responded and made their statements. Overall, it looked like it was more of a misunderstanding based on the short clips each of them had seen, as in the end, both agreed people can change and learn from their mistakes.

  • RiceGum hits back at claims of ‘clout chasing’ after releasing apology video – Dexerto

RiceGum hits back at claims of ‘clout chasing’ after releasing apology video RiceGum, PewDiePie – YouTubePopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is fighting back against accusations of clout-chasing, after using both PewDiePie’s and Ethan Klein’s images in the thumbnail of an apology video. Klein, of YouTube comedy duo H3H3, took issue with RiceGum’s apology video, claiming that he was throwing other YouTubers under the bus and avoiding responsibility for promoting gambling to his young fans due to partnering with alleged scam website ‘MysteryBrand.net.’ RiceGum hit back at the YouTuber in kind, poking fun at his age and noting his own involvement in the Better Help scandal from late 2018. RiceGum is continuing to take shots at Klein, further addressing the issue in a vlog published on January 11. Le hit back at claims of ‘clout-chasing’ due to using both Klein’s and PewDiePie’s images in the thumbnail of his apology video, as well as using PewDiePie’s name in the title (which was later removed). “It makes no sense, because I was responding,” RiceGum argued. “They were talking about me first. [Klein] made two videos using my name, and it got so many views. I use his name and I get no views.” RiceGum went on to insult both Klein and his wife Hila, who he also took aim at in a previous video responding to the backlash. “This guy is so old and no one cares about him,” he continued. “I’m done talking about him and his boring-ass wife.” RiceGum has likewise been accused of giving out expired Amazon gift codes as an apology to fans for partnering with the shady website – although the YouTuber has vehemently denied these claims.

  • Ricegum hits back at Bryce Hall for taunting him with Abby Rao – Dexerto

Ricegum hits back at Bryce Hall for taunting him with Abby Rao Abby Rao, Ricegum, Bryce Hall – YouTubeYouTube star Ricegum has finally responded to TikTok celeb Bryce Hall, who called out the YouTuber for a paintball match using Rice’s ex-girlfriend, Abby Rao, as the prize. In Hall’s video, he taunts rice with Rao, inserting a clip from another video where she names him as her “TikTok crush.” “Winner gets his ex-girlfriend,” the TikTokker challenged. “…as you can see Ricegum, there’s a lot at stake here. Maybe it’s a joke about your ex-girlfriend being the prize, but I just wanted to put that in, because it’s a funny shot at you. Ricegum, I’m calling you out, buddy.” (Topic begins at 3:57 for mobile readers) Ricegum has since responded to Hall’s callout, seeming thoroughly confused by his means of using Rao as the prize for their proposed “paintball battle,” seeing as how he’d parted ways with the actress. “It’s not even a shot,” he fired back, after explaining his stance on the issue with a humorous comparison to a shoe he’d thrown in the bin. “How many times do I have to say this, guys? I broke up with her. I don’t want her!” That’s not all; Ricegum even claimed to have screenshots from fellow content creator Taylor Caniff that alleged Caniff had previously slept with Hall’s girlfriend — a fact that Rice wasn’t loathe to bring up in his response to the TikTokker. “The whole video with Bryce and roasting me, he made it seem like Abby wants him,” he continued. “That he’s taking my girl, and oh, your girl wants me. Listen, that type of stuff doesn’t happen to me. That stuff happens to you, bro. People take your girl.” Despite his explosive response to Hall’s video, it doesn’t look like the YouTuber will be taking him up on his paintball challenge, claiming that he has to attend to KSI’s video roasting him, instead. Hall has since reacted to Ricegum’s response, as well, writing in a pointed Tweet, “Can’t wait to respond to this lyin’ a** clown.” For now, all fans can do is watch and wait to see if further beef erupts between these two social media stars, as it seems Ricegum has bigger fish to fry, first.

  • Ricegum explains his beef with “petty” KSI caused by Logan Paul rematch – Dexerto

Ricegum explains his beef with “petty” KSI caused by Logan Paul rematch RiceGum / KSIPopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le has hit out at KSI over his “petty” behavior following his boxing rematch against Logan Paul in November last year. The rematch between YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul attracted a lot of attention following their first clash, as thousands of fans and some of the top social media influencers were in attendance. Among those who attended was RiceGum, who claimed that KSI had acted petty towards him after the fight, calling him out during a recent episode of KEEMSTAR’s DramaAlert. During his interview alongside fellow content creator Leafy, it was revealed that KSI had unfollowed RiceGum on all his socials and that he temporarily removed the popular diss track, Earthquake, that they had created together from YouTube. RiceGum explained that this new feud began shortly after the boxing match and claimed that KSI had overreacted after he accepted an invitation from Logan Paul to attend the event when the British star did not invite him. “There’s no beef from my side, I still follow him, he’s so petty for no reason I don’t get it,” he admitted, “It’s stemming from the Logan Paul fight. KSI didn’t send me a free ticket man.” Topic starts at 0:42 for mobile users. “He was only inviting the UK homies so I didn’t want to even bother him, he was busy,” RiceGum continued, “Logan was also busy, I didn’t hit him up either he just sent a package, I didn’t even ask and that was it.” He claimed that KSI had overreacted after he accepted Logan’s invite and added that he was actually rooting for KSI during the bout. “That led to him unfollowing me and deleting the video, it was so uncool bro, we chilled in LA. I gave him a feature at the time he wasn’t even pulling numbers when my music was really up.” He later doubled down on KSI, however, calling him clingy for not allowing him to be friends with Logan as well, “Nah but KSI is petty bro, he’s just possessive and clingy like why can’t I have other friends, he’s like, ‘Oh you can’t be friends with Logan’.” As of now, KSI has not yet responded publicly to any of RiceGum’s comments.

  • Ricegum explains why his music is “better” than KSI’s – Dexerto

Ricegum explains why his music is “better” than KSI’s Ricegum, KSI – YouTubeYouTube star Bryan ‘Ricegum’ Le threw some subtle shade toward fellow content creator KSI, claiming that his own music is superior to the Brit’s star-studded tracks from the past few years. KSI is more than a YouTuber; he notably delved into the world of professional boxing against Logan Paul, and has even released a slew of songs featuring other major names in the rap world. With track “Down Like That” seeing a performance from Rick Ross and Lil’ Pump appearing on “Poppin’,” KSI’s work in the music biz is arguably more than a one-time stint — but Ricegum isn’t too impressed with his comrade’s releases. Le discussed the matter during an episode of the “Mom’s Basement” podcast on April 10, when he was asked by Drama Alert’s KEEMSTAR if he hopes to take his own musical career in a similar direction to KSI’s. “I don’t want to do what he’s doing,” Ricegum answered. “He’s been trying to take music seriously, you know what I’m saying? I’m just trying to make my own wave… I just feel like if that happens, that happens.” That’s not all; Ricegum even claimed his own music was better than KSI’s, explaining that although he wasn’t “taking shots,” he feels that YouTubers aren’t at the level of top rap stars, just yet. “I feel like my songs are better than his,” he explained. “I don’t even want to go that way. I haven’t heard anyone say, ‘Turn on that new KSI!’ No one has said, ‘Turn on that new Rice either,’ but you know — like no one is quite there yet. I’m just being honest. I’m not taking shots.” “KSI is my guy, but I haven’t bumped the KSI song, I’m just being honest,” he continued. “He’s doing his thing, man. If I could do that, that’s cool, but I’m just gonna see where this music thing takes me. It’s kinda like a transition, so.” (Topic begins at 9:00 for mobile readers) While Ricegum made it clear he isn’t dissing his friend, he isn’t afraid of hyping up his own music, either, shortly after the release of his viral track “DaAdult,” which scored over 1 million views within 24 hours.

  • RiceGum blasts YouTube for taking down his TikTok video, but not PewDiePie’s – Dexerto

RiceGum blasts YouTube for taking down his TikTok video, but not PewDiePie’s PewDiePie/YouTubePopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le has called out YouTube once again for the deletion of his video, while a similar video created by PewDiePie remains untouched. The video in question is a reaction to a compilation of TikTok videos, which RiceGum had apparently tried to upload multiple times, as cited in a group of deleted Tweets compiled by KEEMSTAR in a previous Drama Alert segment. RiceGum took issue with YouTube’s disparate punishment toward its creators, citing PewDiePie’s own TikTok reaction video that was created after his own, and is still up on the platform. “I made a TikTok video on October 6, and it gets taken off of YouTube because it’s inappropriate …I don’t even know why,” he explained. “And then PewDiePie – after me – posts his TikTok video. It’s still on YouTube, and it’s just reacting to it.” He made sure to clarify that his issue was with YouTube alone, and subsequently brought on celebrity guests FaZe Banks and FaZe Tfue to take part in his TikTok review. “I can’t just be living in the past,” RiceGum joked. “Time to move on. I can’t let YouTube end my fun on TikTok.” RiceGum called out YouTube ahead of the video’s release in early October, claiming that the video was removed for violating the platform’s terms of service. A thread of responses from the Team YouTube Twitter account can be found assessing the situation, which they claimed to be an error on their end. RiceGum’s comments follow a slew of YouTubers lashing out at the platform as of late, including the likes of KEEMSTAR, Markiplier, and even H3H3.

  • RiceGum condemns his fans for purportedly harassing female streamer – Dexerto

RiceGum condemns his fans for purportedly harassing female streamer YouTube: RiceGum / Twitter: @ChristinaDamesYouTube star Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le asked his fanbase to stop harassing streamer Tina Dames after the broadcaster was banned from TikTok and Instagram due to purported mass reporting. RiceGum is a popular presence on YouTube; boasting over 10 million subscribers, the YouTuber helped found the famed ‘Clout Gang’ and became well known on the internet for his diss tracks against other internet stars. However, while Le’s high-flying hijinks and lavish lifestyle have earned him a dedicated following, he has asked his own fan base to stop harassing a fellow content creator after she accused the ‘RiceGumSquad’ of mass reporting her social media accounts. On June 13, streamer Christina Dames claimed that members of the RGS had hacked a professional baseball player’s Instagram account and replaced his profile picture and name with her own name and photo. Dames stated that RiceGum’s fans had then mass reported her for impersonation — although, at the time of writing, there doesn’t seem to be any concrete evidence that the RGS is specifically behind the hacking and reporting. As a result, Dames’ Instagram account was banned… but that wasn’t the only account of hers that got bricked. Dames went on to claim that her TikTok had also been banned, writing, “I don’t know what I did to get harassed this hard.” Now they got my tiktok banned. I dont know what i did to get harassed this hard — Tina Dames (@tinadames_) June 14, 2021 Luckily, RiceGum was quick to get in contact with Dames, discussing the incident on a Discord call where he apologized for his fans’ purported actions and begged them to stop harassing her. “I feel bad, man. It’s not even me, you feel me?” he stated. “Guys, leave this girl alone, bro. Y’all motherf***ers think it’s a joke.” Dames went on to clarify that she knows the entire RGS is not to blame for the incident, saying that a few bad apples were out for “revenge” for an incident that went down “three months ago” — likely referring to their previous GTA V streams together. “Imma really try to tell them, bro, they need to stop,” RiceGum continued. “I’m really trying to figure this out, bro. She doesn’t deserve this.” Bryan isn’t the only influencer to have asked his fans to stop harassing someone; notably, YouTuber MoistCritikal also asked his fans to stop harassing members of a subreddit after he featured it in a video, showing just how much of an effect — intentional or not — that fans of major influencers can have on random strangers.

  • RiceGum accused of scamming fans with expired Amazon codes – Dexerto

RiceGum accused of scamming fans with expired Amazon codes RiceGum, YouTube / The IndependentPopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is being hit with yet another controversy, after giving away what appear to be expired Amazon gift codes in a video on January 3. The YouTuber offered up the codes, worth $10 – $20, as an apology for his partnership with possible gambling and scam website ‘MysteryBrand.net’ – but it appears that this show of good faith may have been yet another scam. A YouTuber by the name of ‘Good Day Sir’ uploaded a video discussing the issue on January 6, where they claimed that they called Amazon’s customer service branch to confirm if four of the codes in question had already been claimed. Read More: Jake Paul receives huge backlash after driving blindfolded for ‘Bird Box challenge’ video – According to the YouTuber, the codes had been claimed in May of 2018 – nearly eight months prior to RiceGum’s apology video, where he gave away the codes in order to make amends with angry fans due to his involvement in the Mystery Box fiasco. ‘Good Day Sir’ likewise uploaded a video of his conversation with Amazon as further proof, where a representative confirmed over the phone that the cards had, indeed, been claimed prior to the making of RiceGum’s video. While RiceGum has yet to respond to this latest accusation via his social media accounts, the YouTuber lashed out at H3H3’s Ethan Klein, who slammed his apology video following the gambling debacle on January 4. However, RiceGum did express remorse due to his partnership with the brand, calling himself an “asshole” and recognizing that he had promoted gambling to his relatively young audience. However, Jake Paul, who was also involved with the website, took to Twitter to remind his fans not to gamble – a move that garnered him ample scrutiny from his critics.

  • Ricegum announces his baby was born stillborn: “We are in deep pain” – Dexerto

Ricegum announces his baby was born stillborn: “We are in deep pain” RicegumYouTuber Ricegum has announced his first child with his girlfriend Ellerie was born stillborn. After close to three years since his last upload, YouTuber Ricegum returned with a video on April 27 titled “Baby Girl.” The almost three-minute-long video documented his experience with his girlfriend Ellerie’s pregnancy — up until she was 34 weeks pregnant, when their unborn girl’s heartbeat stopped. “At 35 weeks pregnant, our world crashed down on us when we were told our baby no longer had a heartbeat,” Ricegum wrote. “Every genetic test, blood test came back perfect, and the reason for this tragedy will forever be unknown. Ellerie had to be induced for labor for 48 hours. “She gave birth to the most perfect angel. The cutest baby girl with soft, chubby cheeks and a tiny button nose. She looked perfect, just like she was sleeping. Only a few more weeks and she would’ve been here with us.” The YouTuber continued: “We are still in tremendous shock. Our family and friends were beyond excited to welcome our baby into the world, instead we are in deep pain and permanently scarred. Only time has helped us through this tragedy. We could never get through this without each other.” Ricegum and his girlfriend Ellerie received a ton of support from friends and their fans, sending love and prayers their way. FaZe Clan co-owner Banks, a close friend of Ricegum, was one of many to show his support for the couple: “Jesus f**king Christ, NO,” he wrote. “I was the very first person Rice told he was having a baby. I’ve known for a while. I had absolutely no idea they lost her. Life is so fucking unfair. Give my brother all the loving energy you have. @RiceGum I’m so so so sorry, I love you so much.” “I’m sorry for your loss, she’s now your angel, watching you both all the time. She will always be with you!” one fan wrote. “Sending prayers and much much love to both of y’all. May your beautiful baby girl Rest in Paradise,” said another. A stillbirth after 27 weeks of pregnancy is considered a “late stillbirth”. Stillbirths occur in 1 in every 175 pregnancies, and those with an unknown cause are named unexplained stillbirths.

  • RiceGum responds to allegations of scamming fans with expired Amazon codes – Dexerto

RiceGum responds to allegations of scamming fans with expired Amazon codes RiceGum, YouTube / MyGiftCardSupply.comPopular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is hitting back at rumors claiming that he provided his fans with expired Amazon gift codes as an apology for partnering with a possible gambling site. RiceGum was called out for the alleged Amazon scam in a video by YouTuber ‘Good Day Sir’ on January 6, where they called the company’s customer service branch to find that four of the codes in question had already been claimed in May of 2018. Drama Alert’s Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem went on to discuss the issue in a video on January 9, where he reportedly called RiceGum to verify the scandal. According to KEEMSTAR, RiceGum vehemently denied any claims of giving out expired codes – and even sent a screenshot of an alleged message from Amazon as proof. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFL8ppmacX8 “He said Amazon’s wrong,” KEEMSTAR said of his call with RiceGum. “He said he has proof that the codes were not used.” While RiceGum has yet to make a statement on the matter via his social media accounts, the YouTuber expressed remorse due to his involvement with reported gambling and scam website, acknowledging that he shouldn’t have promoted the service to his relatively young audience. RiceGum isn’t the only YouTuber in hot water for partnering with the brand, as Jake Paul was also slammed for promoting the site. Paul responded to the backlash with a simple Tweet warning his audience about the dangers of gambling, which garnered ample scrutiny from his critics. RiceGum is set to speak further on the issue in an upcoming episode of Drama Alert on January 10.

  • RiceGum & Abby Rao spotted together despite recent major breakup drama – Dexerto

RiceGum & Abby Rao spotted together despite recent major breakup drama YouTube: Hollywood Life, FamilyGum[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]YouTube star Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le and ex-girlfriend Abby Rao became the center of internet drama amid their highly-publicized split in late 2019 — but it looks like these two influencers may have potentially rekindled their romance. For those out of the loop, RiceGum — a massive internet personality with over 10.6 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel, alone — and massively popular Instagram model Abby Rao stirred up the internet tea in late 2019, when the two hinted at parting ways via social media. Rao later admitted in an interview with Hollywood Life that she’d received “heartless” hate from RiceGum’s fans in her comments following their split, with trolls calling her a “gold digger” and claiming she’d only dated Le for “clout points.” Things got even more heated after RiceGum alleged that Rao had signed a contract with him, which allowed him to claim a certain percentage of her earnings from her work as an influencer while she had been dating him. RiceGum later moved on and began dating another woman, but these two have since broken it off, as revealed in a YouTube video posted to the FamilyGum channel on September 9 — and it looks like he and Rao might be patching things up, in the meantime. Rao posted a surprising video to her Instagram Story on September 13, which showed her standing beside RiceGum as the two looked at each other awkwardly. Although the clip is only a few seconds long, its implication speaks volumes, and fans are already wondering if the two aren’t getting back together in wake of their dramatic breakup last year, which had resulted in a tearful back-and-forth between the ex-couple over social media. It seems that Le isn’t taking his latest breakup all to well, either, considering his soul-baring YouTube video announcing the issue — and he’s even begged his fans to leave his ex alone as a way to prevent history from repeating itself. While there’s no telling if Rao and RiceGum are actually getting back together, it certainly feels good to see them back on speaking terms, at least — even if just for a few seconds.

  • RHONY’s Jill Zarin called out for Diet Coke “addiction” after packing suitcase full of soda – Dexerto

RHONY’s Jill Zarin called out for Diet Coke “addiction” after packing suitcase full of soda TikTok: allyshapsRHONY alum Jill Zarin was called out for her Diet Coke “addiction” after she packed a suitcase full of the beverage before boarding a plane overseas. RHONY’s Jill Zarin has gone viral after her daughter Ally posted a video of her to TikTok where she showed off her suitcase full of Diet Coke in the airport. Ally also went viral recently for having to sit on an eight-hour flight without a window shade. She later sought compensation for her inconvenience and received miles from Delta. Since posting the video of her mom, many TikTokers have clapped back at the Zarin’s for claiming that their travel destination didn’t sell Diet Coke — when in fact, they do. European countries distribute soda using different ingredients than America About a week ago, Jill’s daughter Ally posted the now-viral video of her mom “smuggling” bottles and cans of Diet Coke into her suitcase. The family was traveling to Italy, Greece, and Croatia where Jill claimed did not sell her favorite beverage. Viewers, however, were quick to correct the RHONY star, saying that countries overseas actually do sell the Diet Coke beverage. Though her travel destinations do sell Diet Coke, the soda just goes by different names like Coke Lite and Coke Zero. However, Jill responded to the many comments saying that Europe’s version of the cola “sucks.” Jill, however, may have actually been onto something with her comments, as the European and American version of the popular soda beverage is made differently in each region. In fact, countries like Italy, Greece, and Croatia reportedly do not add potassium benzoate to their sodas, whereas American distributors do. Countries overseas also use regular sugar in their soda drinks. However, America makes and sells pop with high-fructose corn syrup, causing a distinctive difference in taste from the European version. Though TikTokers called Jill out for having a Diet Coke “addiction” for packing a suitcase full of the soda before boarding her flight overseas, others found the situation comical, saying, “Denmark here… I totally understand you. We bring beer when we go on holidays in America.” Others stated, “This is honestly so smart. Then you have an empty bag to pack everything you buy in Europe,” as well as, “She’s so me,” and “I kind of love it.” Since posting the video, Ally and Jill have shared their adventures during their travels to Italy, Greece, and Croatia. Though they haven’t updated TikTok on whether or not they found a decent Diet Coke overseas, one thing is for sure, and it’s that Jill most definitely won’t be going thirsty while abroad!

  • RiceGum mocks SoundCloud rapper Kid Buu for thinking he’s a clone – Dexerto

RiceGum mocks SoundCloud rapper Kid Buu for thinking he’s a clone Massive YouTuber RiceGum reacted to an interview with SoundCloud rapper Kid Buu, where the artist claimed that he had escaped from a cloning facility. Kid Buu is a notable SoundCloud rapper who has been in a fair share of recent controversies. In an interview on VladTV, the rapper admitted that he believed himself to be a clone – with over two generations of models. RiceGum was understandably taken aback by this statement – but that wasn’t all the rapper had to say. “My model number is 0112568 if anyone wants to see the registration code,” he said with a deadpan expression. He likewise stated that he’d stolen sensitive documents before escaping his initial cloning facility, where he learned of his mother’s nationality. Ricegum questioned the rapper’s sanity. “Is this guy on drugs?” he asked incredulously. “I can’t do this anymore… please tell me you’re joking.” Unfortunately, it appears as though Kid Buu (taking his name from the Dragon Ball character) is completely serious. While this latest interview gives audiences a peek into the rapper’s oddities, several serious allegations have been made against him – making him out to be much more than the oddball character he seems to portray. YouTuber Sarah Penman opened up about her relationship with Kid Buu, stating that he’d lied about his age and had hidden a child from her throughout the time they were dating. She also claimed that he was emotionally abusive, to boot, and that he was a ‘compulsive liar.’ These allegations came out before YouTuber Adam22 claimed that the rapper had tried to steal his cat, after the artist was declined an invitation to his ‘No Jumper’ podcast. Ricegum’s reaction to Kid Buu mark another addition to the internet’s incredulity around the rapper – but whether Buu is portraying a ‘character’ or not still remains to be seen.

Over the last year or so, Rhett McLaughlin, one of the faces of legendary YouTube duo Rhett & Link and co-host of Good Mythical Morning, has shared his musical talents through a side project. Rhett calls it ‘James and the Shame,’ and in the fall of 2023, the star put together a fair bit of preorder merch for fans to purchase. Soon after they did, though, the supplier went bankrupt and never shipped product. Now, Rhett has an update for fans waiting for their items and he’s left them quite happy with the resolution. Rhett updates fans on James and the Shame merch In a TikTok video on January 20, 2024, Rhett shared how he’s going to still manage to get customers their preordered product. “I’ve been waiting for more information to tell you all about it,” he said. “Long story short, there’s nothing I can do to get to that money that was collected. However, I do have the information for who ordered what item. “I am committed to getting you what you paid for.” To fix the issue, he’s working with his team at Mythical to handle all of his merch and Rhett says that they are trying to get the items to those who preordered back in the fall by the end of March 2024. He also pledged to donate all of the merch profits to charity, but since there aren’t going to be any profits now, he’s making a donation out of pocket. Fans took to the comments to share their love for the creator, with over 1200 people doing so. “This is the reason I love you and mythical so much. this just shows what a wonderful soul you have and you inject into your buissness,” one said. Another commented: “Incredible damage control! A lot of streamers and Tubers need to take notes.”

  • RHOA’s Kenya Moore hands Marlo Hampton a blank subpoena in Season 15 reunion – Dexerto

RHOA’s Kenya Moore hands Marlo Hampton a blank subpoena in Season 15 reunion Instagram: marlohampton, kenyaKenya Moore of Real Housewives of Atlanta served her cast mate, Marlo Hampton, a blank subpoena during the first part of the Season 15 reunion — but why? RHOA’s Kenya Moore is not only ‘Gone with the Wind fabulous,’ she is also a mother, having given birth to her daughter Brooklyn four years ago. She’s also been a cast mate of RHOA since Season 5, where she would eventually be joined by her controversial friend Marlo Hampton, as Hampton was finally given her Peach in Season 14. Though Moore has been candid on the show about her family life, sharing that her daughter would likely be her only kin, as her birth nearly left her dead, Moore’s trials with cast mate Marlo Hampton have continued to tribulate despite their apparent support for each other here and there. Sure, Hampton revealed to BravoTV executive Andy Cohen that she uses Moore’s line of hair care products, but Hampton’s minimal support for Moore just might not be enough for Moore to forgive her — especially since Hampton was officially served a subpoena by the ‘Kenya Moore Hair Care’ CEO during part one of the Season 15 reunion. Why did Kenya Moore serve Marlo Hampton a blank subpoena? In the first section of the part-two RHOA reunion, Kenya Moore served Marlo Hampton a blank subpoena. The explosive moment began with Andy Cohen asking Moore if her divorce with Marc Daly was final. Moore then explained that Daly filed “contempt charges” against her. The charges against Moore state that she was allegedly preventing Daly from seeing their four-year-old daughter Brooklyn. She was also cited for placing Brooklyn in an “unsafe environment” during an episode when Hampton kicked down the hotel door where Moore and Brooklyn were sleeping. Though Hampton apologized to Moore during the reunion for exposing Brooklyn to violence, Moore proceeded to serve Hampton a blank subpoena. However, the real document with Hampton’s information is reported to have been given to her off-air. Moore then continued to expose Hampton for texting her ex-husband Daly two years prior to the reunion, which Hampton denied. The texts from Hampton allegedly reveal her asking Daly for dirt on Moore. Moore also stated that she “doesn’t want to go to jail,” so Hampton is required to attend court on Moore’s behalf and explain that Brooklyn was only put into an unsafe environment because of her. Being that Hampton’s name was in the context of the charges filed against Moore, Hampton will legally have to appear in court as Moore’s witness. Though the two have their rifts, Hampton finished the conversation about the situation saying she will in fact attend court for Moore. The second part of the explosive RHOA Season 15 reunion will premiere next Sunday, September 10, on BravoTV at 8 p.m. EST.

Rhett & Link follow in MrBeast’s footsteps by launching MishMash cereal brand MythicalIn an era of influencer product launches, Rhett & Link of Good Mythical Morning are the latest to jump on the trend. Following on from the likes of MrBeast with Feastables and KSI & Logan Paul with Prime Hydration, the YouTube duo just launched MishMash cereal. Every successful YouTuber these days has something to offer their audience. Be it regular merchandise, in-person events, or of course, wholesale goods like food and drink. With a number of breakout products disrupting various markets, influencers far and wide are looking for their way in. Now, jumping aboard the hype train with a product of their own, veteran content creator duo Rhett & Link have entered the cereal market. Looking to make breakfast “awesome” again, the YouTubers have established the MishMash brand. Launching with two flavors already available online, at least in the United States, the team at Good Mythical Morning is eager for fans to “finally experience” their latest creation. “The Mythical team took what we do best – curiosity-driven creativity and deliciously inventive food making – and ‘mishmashed’ them together,” an accompanying quote reads. “We have eaten approximately three tons of cereal during the development phase and the final 100 pounds tasted awesome.” Starting off with two distinct options, MishMash hit the web with the Peanut Butter N’ Honey Sandwich cereal, along with the unique Sweet Mac N’Mello cereal. The latter allegedly being “the only macaroni noodle-shaped cereal in the world.” Fans of the influencers can buy a ‘Starter Pack’ with one box of each for $19.99 USD, or opt for a four-pack at $39.99 USD. As you might expect, these two flavors are just the beginning with “new drops” set to follow down the line.
