Pokimane’s bizarre Nintendo Switch mystery takes an unexpected turn Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has provided a new update in the saga of her Nintendo Switch, revealing that the console itself was stolen, rather than her account being hacked as initially believed. The streamer was bemused on December 21 when she realized that someone had purchased Just Dance on her Nintendo account, offering a confused “thanks?” at the idea that someone had broken into her account just to buy her a game. It now appears that this wasn’t the case after all, with the reality appearing to be that someone has actually stolen the console itself, with the theft taking place at some point before Christmas. In a tweet posted on December 26, the 23-year-old provided an update for her fans who were still thinking about the Just Dance mystery, writing: “No one hacked into my account, instead my whole Nintendo Switch was stolen.” fun update: no one hacked into my account, instead my whole nintendo switch was stolen ? — pokimane (@pokimanelol) December 27, 2019 When asked by a fan how she had only just realized that her console had been pinched five days after first talking about the situation, the streamer explained that she had been spending part of the holidays in Canada with her family, and didn’t realize it was gone until she returned to California. “I visited my parents in Canada and left my Switch at home in Los Angeles,” she replied. “So I only found out when I came back and it was gone.” i visited my parents in canada & left my switch at home in LA, so only found out when I came back and it was gone : ( — pokimane (@pokimanelol) December 27, 2019 Pokimane lives in the OfflineTV house with fellow YouTubers and streamers like Michael Reeves, Lily ‘LilyPichu’ Ki and William ‘scarra’ Li, and currently it appears that the Switch is the only item missing from the property. As for when the console went missing, Pokimane could only confirm that happened some time before Christmas, but doesn’t appear to be sure of an exact date or time that it was pilfered by the thief. Unfortunately for Pokimane and her fans, the prospect of a possible Just Dance Twitch stream is definitely off the table now, thanks to the thief who is now enjoying their new Nintendo Switch console.

Pokimane’s cookie brand under fire as fans spot near-identical product at Costco – Dexerto
Pokimane’s cookie brand under fire as fans spot near-identical product at Costco X: pokimanelolPokimane’s new cookie brand is facing backlash as fans have uncovered a strikingly similar product was sold at Costco. Update (Nov 14): A spokesperson from the company has stated: “Our product formulation is unique to Myna and exclusive to us. We can confirm the Midnight Mini Cookies were in development for two years. This process included many rounds of testing and ingredient changes.” The original story continues below: Popular influencer Pokimane has ventured into the snack industry with the launch of her company, Myna Snacks, unveiling her own line of cookies named Midnight Mini Cookies. Pokimane’s move follows the trend of influencers who have started to diversify income sources with various product launches. She joins the likes of Logan Paul & KSI, who launched Prime in 2022, as well as MrBeast, who established Beast Burger and Feastables. There’s also the likes of Amouranth, who has recently spoken about some more unique business ideas. However, Pokimane’s launch has already led to controversy surrounding the product’s authenticity and pricing. Myna Snacks was announced just days after Pokimane teased the product launch, claiming to offer healthier snack options. In a statement on the Myna Snacks website, Pokimane said, “Most snacks were filled with things I couldn’t feel good about. So we created Myna.” The Midnight Mini Cookies are described as made with “deep chocolate with velvety white chips and sea salt” and are being marketed at the premium price of $28 for a 4-pack, $56 for an 8-pack, and $84 for a 12-pack. Pokimane’s cookie brand faces scrutiny Controversy surrounding the product sparked almost immediately as social media users quickly questioned the snacks’ origin. One Twitter user provided a deep dive into the origins of the product, complete with sources. Atelisi’s investigation alleges that Myna Snacks lied about who created the cookies after discovering similarities between the Midnight Mini Cookies and a product from Creations Foods, another company in the Pacific Northwest known for their healthier snack options, that was seemingly available in Costco stores earlier this year. “Right on their page are cookies that look similar to Myna Snacks… Midnight Mini Cookies by Toatzy,” Atelisi shared, noting that Toatzy’s website links back to Creations Foods. Atelisi also added that a comparison of nutritional information and ingredients revealed that the two products are almost identical before alleging that it’s possibly a “cash grab attempt” in which “no work into the cookies themselves was put into it, and the claim of ‘creating’ the cookie is (allegedly) a lie.” More social media users are also speaking up against the product, with one highlighting the now-higher price by weight, stating, “Pokimane’s new product is apparently just a rebranded ‘Toatzy midnight mini cookie’ which she sells for three times the price. The only difference between the cookies is vitamin D3. $28 vs $9.99 for 400g. Scam?” This article was updated to include comments from a Myna Snacks spokesperson.

Pokimane is xQc’s new sister in GTA RP & he actually wants to date her – Dexerto
Pokimane is xQc’s new sister in GTA RP & he actually wants to date her Twitch: Pokimane, xQc, Rockstar GamesImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has recently brought her GTA RP alter ego, Jolie Paul, back into the world of Los Santos, but it turns out that her character’s brother is played by Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, and he has a little bit of a crush on her. GTA RP is home to some of the biggest Twitch streamers in the business, with Rachaell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and her Amigops partner, Sykkuno, taking to the streets of Los Santos to cause chaos. Among them is also streaming sensation Pokimane, who has praised her GTA RP comrades for being better friends than some of her real-life ones. Back in black and adopting the alter ego of Jolie Paul, Poki has been spending time ruining the LSPD’s day alongside her in-game brother and fellow Twitch behemoth, xQc. As the pair continue to spend time together, it turns out that Jean Paul is looking to take their relationship to a new (and pretty bizarre) level. xQc’s GTA RP character wants to date Pokimane’s When discussing the woman of the hour, xQc’s Jean ‘X’ Paul admits that “I don’t care as much about my sister as a brother,” much to the confusion of his friends. “I’ve just got a ha-, I’m trying to date her,” he confesses, only to be met with laughter. “It’s not funny,” he hits back, responding to the responsive outbursts of “it’s your sister” with “so!” Later on in the stream, the topic of Jolie Paul comes up once more. As the squad pokes fun at Jean’s rather close relationship with his sister, he notes “I’m f**king getting hard – I’m getting bricked up all of a sudden.” Met with a chorus of “what” and “what the f**k,” xQc descends into swathes of laughter. “Y’know when she ties her hair… my goodness,” he giggles, wiping away tears. Whether or not this… interesting romance ever manages to blossom into something truly beautiful remains to be seen – Jean Paul would certainly like it too! What happens in Los Santos stays in Los Santos after all, so you never know.

Pokimane’s attempt to go “undercover” at TwitchCon fails immediately – Dexerto
Pokimane’s attempt to go “undercover” at TwitchCon fails immediately YouTube: PokimanePokimane tried to go undercover at TwitchCon to peruse the artists’ alley in anonymity — but she was discovered right away, foiling her plan in the most wholesome way possible. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most-followed streamers on Twitch, on top of being the platform’s most-followed woman and one of the most-searched Twitch streamers in the United States. As such, her presence at major events like TwitchCon doesn’t go unnoticed. At TwitchCon 2022, the line for her meet-and-greet was full to bursting with tons of excited fans who paid to get a pic and a hug with Poki. However, she wanted to go undercover to truly enjoy some of the other aspects of the convention without getting stopped for pictures all the time — so she hatched a plan. Pokimane instantly gets recognized during “undercover” TwitchCon plan During her vlog recording this year’s TwitchCon, Poki donned a ‘disguise’ of sunglasses, a tan pea coat, a face mask, and put her hair up in a clip, hoping that the slapdash costume would prevent her from getting recognized while she browsed the artists’ alley for artwork. “I wanna go to the artists’ alley and I wanna like, really check out the floor, but I’m gonna go in disguise,” she explained. “Who am I with my hair up? All of the sudden, not Pokimane. Surely, no one will know.” Although Poki was able to get to the artists’ alley without any problems, she was recognized by a fan asking for a photo as soon as she started making her way down the aisles. After giving a disheartened “yeah,” the fan immediately apologized, prompting a laugh from the world-famous streamer. (Topic begins at 10:50) Despite her failed attempt at trying to enjoy TwitchCon as a regular attendee, Pokimane made sure to thank her fans for all their support at the convention and was grateful to connect with her viewers in person after years of social distancing and a lengthy social media hiatus.

Pokimane witch hunt sparked after out-of-context clip goes viral with racism accusations – Dexerto
Pokimane witch hunt sparked after out-of-context clip goes viral with racism accusations Twitch: PokimaneTwitch’s most popular female streamer, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, is currently on a break from streaming. Her break coincides with a vicious witch hunt that has been sparked after a tactically cropped clip was spread on social media, to make it appear as though she said a racial slur. As one of Twitch’s biggest names, Pokimane has faced various ‘scandals’ in the past – such as copyright-claiming YouTube videos that were critical of her content, and was called out by PewDiePie for it. However, this latest “scandal” is simply evidence that an on-stream moment can be tactically and surreptitiously clipped – in this case to make the streamer appear to use a racial slur. Did Pokimane use the n-word? No – Pokimane did not use the n-word. At least not in this clip from July 9, of her playing Valorant and laughing with teammates. Pokimane actually says “like who asked?” This is clear when the clip is not trimmed to the exact point it has been, numerous times, on social media, because Pokimane says “Like… like who asked?” By trimming out the first “like”, the “like who” is, admittedly, easily misheard as a racial slur. Here is the clip – with an extra ten seconds added to the start, which makes it clear Pokimane said “like” – not the ‘n-word’. After saying “like” the first time, she completes her thought, “like who asked.” Pokimane witch hunt result of misleading clip Of course, the clip that went viral on social media was only 14 seconds long – and conveniently begins just after Pokimane said “like” the first time. This resulted in countless tweets, from both small accounts and big, including some streamers, confidently proclaiming that Pokimane had brazenly used the n-word. “It’s the sad truth,” said fighting games pro PunkDaGod. Many other tweets spread the claim that Pokimane used the slur, as though it were confirmed. One particularly common trend is calling out Twitter news poster Jake Lucky for somehow failing to bring attention to something that did not happen. GreekGodX has even implied that Jake Lucky is deliberately avoiding posting it because he wants to maintain relations with OfflineTV, the streamer group Pokimane is part of. However, Pokimane did not use the n-word in this instance. Every clip used to claim otherwise is expertly trimmed to remove the first “like” – a deliberate attempt to twist the incident and have Pokimane banned, canceled and branded a racist. It is worth pointing out that Pokimane did in fact use a racial slur on a stream over 8 years ago – she apologized for this incident in 2020, stating “I’m genuinely so sorry if I hurt anyone with what I said. I do hope that my behavior in regards to language for the last couple of years and onwards speaks for itself.” So, no, Pokimane did not use a slur during a Valorant stream in July 2022. The streamer is currently on a break from Twitch, for a “mental reset.”

Pokimane shares wholesome reaction to “cute” Dr Disrespect clip – Dexerto
Pokimane shares wholesome reaction to “cute” Dr Disrespect clip Twitch: Pokimane / Dr DisrespectPopular Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys had the most wholesome reaction when watching a classic Dr Disrespect compilation. Pokimane is one of the most popular Twitch personalities on the platform and is known for her laid back broadcasts, so the last thing that comes to mind with her streams is the speed, violence and momentum of Dr Disrespect. But during her September 18 stream, the streaming star reacted to an older compilation video of the Two Time, and one particular clip had her gushing with how “cute” Doc’s interaction with a fan was. Dr Disrespect clip is “so cute” During her broadcast, Pokimane was reacting to various clips when she came upon a classic compilation video of Dr Disrespect greatest moments. In the clip, Doc is playing with a random person in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds who doesn’t know that he’s actually playing with the Two-Time himself. Read More: Minecraft streamer smashes setup in rage – She was initially laughing at the interaction, as Doc messed with the other player and tried to get the stranger to bash him, when she couldn’t contain how sweet the moment became after the player said “I love Dr Disrespect” instead. Pokimane put her hand over her chest and let out a big “awwww!” before she exclaimed “that’s so cute!” when Doc became emotional at the exchange. The viral clip Pokimane reacted to was from a stream back in 2017, where Dr Disrespect was playing PUBG with a random who asked if he was the real Doc after seeing his username. The Two-Time told him no, of course, but then asked him “What do you think of the guy?” to which the other player replied “I love him dude!” Doc played it cool and said “He can get on my nerves once in a while” and was shocked when the other player quickly hit back with “Not for me, I love him!” Dr Disrespect clearly was affected emotionally by the reply, as he shook his head back and forth smiling, before he stood up and exited the stream. He then returned to his chair a few seconds later, and made the motion of wiping tears from under his eyes. Despite Pokimane loving the wholesome clip, she turned around to her audience and exclaimed “And all I get is “I beat my meat to her!”” Her reaction proves that while fan interactions between personalities can sometimes be wholesome, sometimes they can also be toxic, especially towards females. Although the Twitch star seemed genuinely moved by Doc’s interaction with his devoted. supporter. As of the time of this article, both personalities are two of the most popular channels on the streaming platform, with Pokimane having 3.4 million followers, and Dr Disrespect with 3.6 million.

Pokimane pulls off incredible Twitch trades to win OfflineTV’s $25k Squid Game – Dexerto
Pokimane pulls off incredible Twitch trades to win OfflineTV’s $25k Squid Game YouTube: OfflineTVImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys pulled off two incredible trades with William ‘Scarra’ Li and Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker to win the first official $25,000 OfflineTV Squid Game competition. Netflix’s smash-hit series, Squid Game, has taken over the world in recent months. In addition to being critically acclaimed and drawing hundreds of millions of viewers, it’s also become deeply entrenched in internet culture. Not only have we seen countless YouTubers re-create challenges from the show, but it’s also sparked talks of a Squid Game battle royale and even spawned Crab Game, a popular free-to-play game based on the show. OfflineTV wanted a piece of the action, too. They created their very own OfflineTV Squid Game competition, complete with a star-studded line-up and a whopping $25,000 prize pool. However, it was Pokimane who stole the show. But instead of contestants being shot for moving when they should be stopped, they got egged and sent to the back of the line instead. Poki was the first one to be get caught. Hasan was close behind. But in an interesting turn of events, the host announced that the back of the line was now the front, putting them in pole position. From there, people paired up and had to cross the line with their ankles tied together. Contestants who survived the first round then had to play the marble game from the show in groups of three, followed by rock-paper-scissors and more. That’s when Poki pulled off the first of two incredible deals to win the game. She tricked Scarra into giving her a single marble in exchange for a thousand gifted subs spread across his team. But he forgot that all her team needed to do was secure more marbles than his team, and as a result, they won. In the end, it came down to only three contestants in the final game; Hasan, Poki, and xChocobars. They duked it out in a game that required them to rip name tag’s off their opponent’s backs or push them out of a circle. Hasan eliminated xChocobars with ease. However, Poki struck another cheeky deal with him right at the end. She agreed to donate half of the winnings to a charity of his choosing if he let her win, and he obliged. Poki might have won the competition, but the real winners are the recipients of the charitable donations. Hasan revealed: “I will be donating my part of the proceedings to a mutual aid fund in Los Angeles that helps homeless people.” The OfflineTV Squid Games was a roller-coaster ride from start to finish, and produced many memorable moments along the way to Pokimane’s victory.

Pokimane warns against Buccal fat removal trend – Dexerto
Pokimane warns against Buccal fat removal trend Warner Bros. Pictures / YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane reacted to the current Buccal fat removal trend, warning her fans against the viral procedure in a body-positive TikTok video. Beauty standards change with the times. From the 90’s ‘Heroin Chic’ to the current curvy body envy, body trends come and go like seasons… and the latest one hitting everyone’s For You Pages is celebrating sharp cheekbones and distinct jawlines. The look is attributed to a procedure called ‘buccal fat removal,’ which aims to thin the fat on the cheeks to achieve a more sculpted look via surgery. Celebrities rumored to have participated in the trend include actress Zoe Kravitz, who brought her iconic pout to 2022’s The Batman. It’s no secret that the look is going viral online, to the point where influencers are doing their best to mimic the surgery with extreme contouring using makeup… but not everyone’s into this latest fad. Pokimane warns fans against “rushing into” buccal fat removal surgery Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys spoke out about buccal fat removal in a recent TikTok video, where she claimed she was glad she had “chubby cheeks” in her early twenties, as her face has slimmed out since then. “I see so many people talk about buccal fat removal and young people hating their chubby cheeks,” she began. “So I wanna tell you what I told myself at this age, when I didn’t like my chubby cheeks.” “I told myself, okay, I might hate that I look like a baby now, but I’ll appreciate it when I’m older.” She also warned her viewers against “rushing” into a surgery at a young age, instead advocating for other methods and embracing their current “baby” faces. “Just a friendly reminder, especially to anybody who’s young — throughout your twenties, your face will still continue to change a little bit. There are also lots of natural ways you can improve your face shape. …but please don’t feel the need to rush into a procedure just because of a little cute baby fat.” This isn’t the first time Pokimane has spoken out about her thoughts on plastic surgery. Last year, the streamer called out “deceitful” influencers for lying about going under the knife and instead claiming they’d achieved their look naturally.

Pokimane went on a “dating show” – and here’s what happened YouTube: Pokimane / Instagram: REALMizkif, QTCinderellaTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has been fairly open about her relationship status as a single woman who’s not currently interested in dating — but what happens when she enters a “platonic” dating show? Pokimane’s relationship status has been a point of contention among critics for some time. In fact, fans pestered her so much about her love life that she finally published a tweet in March that simply read, “Single btw.” She clarified that she isn’t looking for a potential romantic partner, either — but that isn’t stopping her from seeking out a “best friend” in the interim. A month after her viral tweet was posted, Pokimane appeared on an episode of Austin TV’s infamous dating show, “Love or Host” — this time with a platonic twist. Instead of trying to win her heart, competitors were vying to become Anys’s “best friend,” which resulted in some seriously hilarious moments. not looking ❤️ just tired of seeing the same question/assumption over n over lol — pokimane (@pokimanelol) March 9, 2021 Pokimane had quite a few streamers to choose from, including the likes of Mizkif, QTCinderella, Esfand, and more… but it was QTCinderella who ended up stealing the show. During her brief introduction, Cinderella showed off a friendship necklace she had bought for herself and Pokimane — as well as a full-blown mural on her bedroom wall full of commissioned artwork of herself and Anys as besties. That’s not all; the streamer even created an entire scrapbook full of photoshopped pics of herself and Pokimane. Now that’s dedication! However, one of the funniest parts of the stream occurred when Minecraft creator Jack Manifold presented Pokimane with a custom shirt he’d made that read, “I love Pokimane platonically.” This prompted QTCinderella to bust out a sweater she’d made with Anys’s face on it, drawing laughter from the 14 streamers in the group at the totally ridiculous competition for the title of Pokimane’s best friend. Ultimately, Pokimane ended up becoming “best friends” with Twitch streamer CaptainPuffy, making for an unexpected but fitting end to a hilarious stream that’s well worth a full watch through.

Pokimane calls for Twitch to embrace ‘react meta’ with movie and TV show collabs – Dexerto
Pokimane calls for Twitch to embrace ‘react meta’ with movie and TV show collabs Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has called for Twitch to fully embrace the controversial “react meta” by setting up collaborations with production companies that will let star streamers watch full-length movies and TV shows live. The popular Twitch star has taken an opposite stance to many — instead of wanting the controversial ‘react meta’ that has taken the platform by storm recently to end, Pokimane is calling for Amazon to embrace it. Anys wants to see Twitch team up with production companies like Walt Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, and more, with these collaborations opening up “safe” options for streamers when it comes to broadcasting movies to their legions of fans without any DMCA fears. “That would be the dream, big collabs,” she said. According to Pokimane, the ‘react meta’ may be the future of the site, especially if Twitch did manage to pull off the big-money team-ups she’s describing. “I really do hope Twitch can do that, someday,” the Moroccan-Canadian star declared on January 12, “and I hope publishers and livestreamers can collaborate to the extent that they allow us to share the experience of watching full-length movies, TV shows, with viewers all around the world.” Pokimane’s request already exists in one form — Amazon Prime offers a “Watch Parties” feature, which gives streamers access to the company’s film and television back catalogue. Anys would love to see even more options though, with fresh premieres and new shows on the menu too. The Twitch streamer admitted it was “a lot to ask,” but claimed she could see collabs happening in the future as the Amazon-owned site continues to expand into mainstream popularity. Pokimane’s fans were less convinced, however, with many pointing out DMCA strikes wouldn’t go away. “Stop laughing at my dreams! I can dream, you know?” Pokimane accidentally became a leading figurehead for Twitch’s ongoing “react meta” late last week, after the 25-year-old was suspended for watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the very first time on-stream. The Twitch star said she wasn’t surprised by her suspension, and went on to admit she doesn’t think it is “unfair” — it was actually something she was expecting sooner rather than later. That said, it’s the exact situation she’s hoping to avoid by having Twitch and film companies team up. “I think the criticism, these people insulting streamers, labeling them and the whole genre lazy, is just wrong,” she said. “I actually want to see it grow in the future.”

Pokimane wants two mystery people removed from streamer friend group – Dexerto
Pokimane wants two mystery people removed from streamer friend group Twitch/pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane spilled some tea during a recent broadcast when she admitted to fellow steamer AriaSaki that she wants two people removed from their friend group. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. Currently the 9th most-followed broadcaster on the site, she’s besties with quite a few other influencers, including her crew at OfflineTV. However, it looks like Poki isn’t too fond of two particular people in her friend group, which she opened up about during a recent broadcast with her buddy AriaSaki. According to Poki, she didn’t feel that way until she learned a bit more about them, but says that now, she wants the two gone. Pokimane says she wants two people removed from her friend group “I feel like now we have a lot of filters in place, but I feel like there are certain people — a couple, like literally two — that are affiliated with our friend group, that I wish weren’t anymore, now that I know much more about them,” Poki explained. AriaSaki was immediately caught off-guard and tried to diffuse the situation by eating a fruit cup, sparking further explanation from Pokimane. The streamer went on to say that it’s no one in OTV and no one that she publicly hangs out with, clarifying that the duo aren’t “super affiliated” with her group of buddies. “Obviously, they’re not super affiliated,” the streamer added. “It’s one of those people that like, hmm. Guys, obviously no one in OTV and no one that you see me hang out with, ever.” For now, fans are left sorting out the identities of the mysterious friends on their own following Pokimane’s cryptic comments — but some are tying the incident to the recent drama that took over Twitch last month. Pokimane notably claimed that she wanted to distance herself from the streaming community as a result of numerous scandals that rocked the platform in September… although it’s presently unclear if her recent statement has anything to do with the ordeal or not.

Pokimane explains why she voted for xQc as Streamer of the Year – Dexerto
Pokimane explains why she voted for xQc as Streamer of the Year Twitch: Pokimane / xQcPokimane explained why she voted for xQc as the Streamer of the Year at The Streamer Awards 2022, claiming he’s “on another level” in terms of hours streamed and variety of content. QTCinderella’s fan-voted Streamer Awards 2022 is coming on March 13. Voting has already begun across 27 different awards categories. However, arguably the most decorated award is the Streamer of the Year 2022. Pokimane was casting her votes on stream. When it came time to vote for the Streamer of the Year, she ultimately voted for xQc over the other nominees — Ludwig, Mizkif, and Sykkuno. “I just don’t think there’s any competing with xQc at this point in time,” said Poki. “xQc is on another level above almost all streamers in hours streamed, in variety, in community. You can even tell in his viewership. It’s insane.” Poki commended Mizkif, who was also nominated for the award, for having an outstanding year. However, she thinks xQc is in a “league of his own” at the moment, and it’d be a struggle for anyone to compete with him. “I’m going have to vote for xQc. This one is tough because I do feel like this was Mizkif’s year. If I could, I would give it to both of them.” She believes both streamers ticked lots of boxes throughout the year, including the variety of things they stream, the length of their streams, and the intensity of their streams. However, xQc had the edge in her opinion. Poki wasn’t nominated for the award herself. However, she was nominated for the Legacy Award along with Scarra, Sodapoppin, and Summit1g, which celebrates streamers who have helped shape the industry. She urged fans to stop voting for her at streamer award shows, begging them to vote for others instead. However, there’s a good chance they’ll vote for her in this category considering how much she’s accomplished.

Pokimane vows to do “better” after trying to “get back at others” over cookie drama – Dexerto
Pokimane vows to do “better” after trying to “get back at others” over cookie drama YouTube: PokimanePokimane has stated she vows to do “better” amid controversy regarding her recently launched snack company. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys’ first-ever product launch has been controversial, to say the least. The Twitch star unveiled her health-conscious snack company, Myna Snacks, on November 13, but it almost immediately came under fire after fans alleged that the snacks shared similarities to a cheaper brand despite the considerably higher price tag. The situation escalated when Pokimane labeled fans complaining about the price as “broke,” which she later stated was “100% intended to be a joke.” After what has been a crazy couple of weeks, Pokimane has taken to Instagram to reflect on the experience and express intentions for personal growth. “Been reflecting the last few days, and for starters I wanna thank everyone who’s been so supportive and understanding,” Pokimane shared in her Instagram story. “I realized I’ve been too fixated on negative things/people and reacting in ways that aren’t conducive to being the best version of myself,” she stated, adding, “Feels silly to say that because I’ve been making content for so long, I should know better but s**t happens lol.” “Either way, I’m determined to handle things better in the future and realize it’s futile to stoop too low to get back at others.” Pokimane’s update appears to be a response to the recent comments and her own handling of the backlash and comes not long after responding to xQc’s “unbiased” review of the cookies. xQc was one of the many streamers who chimed in with their thoughts on the snack, sharing, “The aftertaste kind of leaves me upset. It annoys me.” xQc ended up giving the snack a 5/10 rating and suggested there were “improvements to be made.” Later, when asked by Kai Cenat if she had seen xQc’s review of the cookies, Pokimane responded, “Sometimes, other people’s opinions are none of my business,” before also adding that she believes xQc had a “bone to pick” with her over it. If you’re still wondering if Pokimane’s Midnight Mini Cookies are worth the price and the controversy that came with it, be sure to check out Dexerto’s very own Myna cookies review.

Pokimane under fire after blasting sponsor of anti “simp” YouTuber – Dexerto
Pokimane under fire after blasting sponsor of anti “simp” YouTuber Instagram/Pokimane/YouTube/It’sAGundamTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is getting called out by many content creators after she attacked the sponsor of YouTuber ‘It’sAGundam’ for making a video criticizing “simps.” It’sAGundam is known for making videos critical of modern online culture, such as “simping.” The term “simp” popularly refers to men who overvalue women and do or say things they may not agree with because they believe a woman would want them to do so. On May 13, It’sAGundam uploaded a video titled “Simp willingly goes homeless for Pokimane,” which features comments made by Twitter users about donating outrageous sums of money to the Twitch streamer. In the video, he specifically takes aim at a user on Twitter who claimed to have donated $1,000 to Anys, despite being four months behind on his rent among others who appear to fawn over the streamer. Eventually, on May 16, Pokimane watched the video during her stream and blasted the YouTuber and his sponsor, Ridge Wallet. “I can’t believe anyone would sponsor these shenanigans,” she said. “Like what?” “And I will say, for this company to sponsor a video that’s literally 20 minutes of talking sh*t about me…” Pokimane paused, clearly fuming over the content of the video. “You will never see… if you ever reach out to me, if I ever see you in my inbox.” Anys then crossed her arms forming an “X” and stated, “on sight” jokingly suggesting she’d either delete or block the company right away. https://twitter.com/JoshPescatore/status/1261816716000202752 “Like, no company should do that just about ever. ‘Oh, is this a video where some random dude behind a VR machine calls a girl a th*t for twenty minutes? Really want to put my logo on that one!’” she mocked. Since blasting It’sAGundam’s sponsors, Poki has come under fire from users critical of her stance across social media. “The video is comedic and satirical, but it offended Poki so much that she calls out the sponsor of the video,” Josh Pescatore raged. “I am all for creators talking sh*t on other creators, but why go after advertisers?” he asked, and added that it was “lame AF” for a millionaire to go after a YouTuber’s sponsor during the ongoing global issues. Pokimane will never learn. Her ego is too strong pic.twitter.com/OcNUJNbgyW — Josh (@Bowblax) May 18, 2020 Bowblax, who has had his own issues with Pokimane over copyright strikes, claimed that if it wasn’t for her prior controversy with him, she would have attempted to take down It’sAGundam’s video. Pokimane hasn’t responded to the controversy further, and it’s unclear if her comments have affected the relationship between the YouTuber and his sponsor. Dexerto has reached out to It’sAGundam for comment.

Pokimane unveils “insane” gift from fan on stream – Dexerto
Pokimane unveils “insane” gift from fan on stream Imane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s top streamers, boasting over 3.5 million followers on the site. However, some of her fans take their enthusiasm a bit too far. As a major internet star, Pokimane often receives gifts from her fanbase – not an unusual occurrence, since many content creators have open PO boxes for their fans to submit mail and other goodies. However, one of her fans mailed out an unusual offering, which Pokimane opened during an unboxing video with the “OfflineTV” squad. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B4QjBMGlmsH/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkRather than leaving the gift for OfflineTV’s audience, Pokimane decided to show off the item during her own stream – a gift that left her chat sin stitches. “OTV did an unboxing the other day, and someone sent in this gem,” she began, stepping back to unfurl a full-length body pillow with her picture on either side. However, the streamer didn’t seem to find the gift creepy, considering the usual sexual nature of “dakimakuras.” Instead, she seemed to find the situation hilarious, calling the stunt “insane.” “It’s a body pillow of me,” she laughed. “Thoughts? This was a pretty good picture to choose, I won’t lie. This one, my head’s just a little bit big… Insane. Insanity.” She went on to show off the pillow for her viewers before suddenly covering up the bottom portion of one side, apparently for fear that a certain part of the photo could be potentially revealing. “Cover up, Jesus!” she jokingly exclaimed, placing her hand over the pillow. “You’re not even married.” This wouldn’t be the first time Pokimane has received awkward gifts in the mail, by far: in fact, Anys received such offerings as a “Fart Filter” odor plug and a stun gun during her birthday stream in early May, leaving her understandably speechless. Pokimane even tested the gun on stream, giving a high-pitched scream when the taser zapped in her hand. No matter the occasion, Pokimane’s fans always come in clutch with their odd gift choices. She doesn’t seem to mind them though, no matter how weird they are, as evidenced by her hilarious reaction to her brand-new body pillow.

Pokimane trolls viewers with hilarious crying rant about “nut milk” – Dexerto
Pokimane trolls viewers with hilarious crying rant about “nut milk” Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the platform’s most popular female content creators, boasting over three million followers – but sometimes, the streaming grind can get a little bit overwhelming. While Pokimane is generally known for her humorous broadcasts and awkward interactions with fans, she’s also adept at trolling her fanbase, as evidenced by her hilarious rant during a July 27 Twitch stream. Anys’ usual cheerful air was replaced by sad background music in an instant, as she suddenly became “overwhelmed” by her healthy smoothie, which required her to use almond milk instead of whole milk. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/BxlA1mwneqV/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“We try so hard in life,” Pokimane tearily lamented. “Whether you’re working or going to school, trying to land that job. We have so much going on already. And on top of that, we have to worry about what we eat? And we have to put nut milk in our smoothies because regular milk is fattening?” Pokimane quickly broke out into laughter shortly thereafter, laughing at the ridiculousness of the phrase “nut milk” and revealing that her sobbing speech was just a hilarious troll. This wouldn’t be the first time the streamer has effectively trolled her audience by crying, either: in fact, Pokimane went on a similar tangent during a July 8 broadcast, which also involved food. “Oh my god, I got an omelet and fruit, but the fruit landed on the omelette,” Pokimane “cried” after opening up her meal. “… You just have this big piece of Honeydew on top tainting it in the same manner that evil people taint our communities.” While Anys’ crocodile tears make for some hilarious moments, the streamer spilled some genuine tears during a broadcast just a day prior to her omelette rant, after receiving a slew of dislikes on a video describing her streaming career. “It does hurt my feelings, kind of, that they’ve done this on so many different streamers, and then like, as soon as it’s me, it’s like, so many dislikes,” she said of the video. “I don’t really know why.” Although Pokimane ended her stream shortly thereafter to avoid crying on camera, she has since made a joke of her emotional response to the hate, delivering fake breakdowns over trivial elements like omelettes and smoothies – much to the amused confusion of her fanbase.

Pokimane claims Twitch doubters only ‘fuel her’ now after years of hate – Dexerto
Pokimane claims Twitch doubters only ‘fuel her’ now after years of hate Instagram: pokimanelolImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has dealt with her fair share of critics across her Twitch career. Once running away from them and hiding from the hate, she is now using it to “fuel her” and push her forward as she continues to break barriers. Pokimane’s streaming career only ever seems to go to new heights year on year. Once just a small-time League of Legends content creator, she’s built an empire on Twitch, often topping the charts as one of the platform’s biggest names. With big numbers came scrutiny though. Pioneering her way through a community often condemned as sexist, Pokimane paved the way for many other women in streaming and gaming. Reflecting on her award win at the Streamy’s in 2018 — and the criticism she received on stage mere minutes after winning — Pokimane said she feels sorry for her past self, who took that hate and ignored it. “I was so used to people discrediting any accomplishment, or anything I did ever. I wasn’t even tearing up like I am now — I was so used to it that I just brushed it off,” she said in a recent Twitch stream. “I feel so sad for this version of myself at this point, who didn’t get the opportunity to appreciate a lot of the things that I did because there was always someone like this.” Pokimane has found a new way to channel that negative energy now. She instead uses it to fuel her to create more content and prove her Twitch doubters wrong. “Maybe comments like that just fuel me? You think I’m not going to be able to play the next game? Watch me. We’re suctioning up all the negative energy, and turning it into fuel,” she said. “This was before Fortnite. Before Among Us. Before Valorant. Fortnite is where my channel grew the most. Could you imagine if I listened to this person and just quit and went back to school here? That’s crazy to think about.” “It’s crazy the amount of things that have happened since that very moment, and how I unintentionally proved them wrong by continuing to do what I want to do.” Pokimane is thankful for her community for their support along the way. Now it seems like those haters who want her to fail have some recognition too, for keeping Pokimane in the scene and passionate to keep breaking down barriers.

Pokimane trolls viewer with perfect response after being asked about dating – Dexerto
Pokimane trolls viewer with perfect response after being asked about dating PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys hilariously trolled a chatter who asked what her perfect date would be, leaving her chat in stitches. Pokimane is known to call out viewers in her Twitch channel she finds unsavory or offensive and being as popular as she is, this can happen quite frequently. During a broadcast on January 28, she laid into a troll in her chat and eviscerated them with: “You will never get b**ches. You will never have a bad b**ch on your arm.” Later in that same stream, she decided to have some fun with another question from a viewer she found befuddling. Pokimane describes her perfect date, with a twist Poki was asked by a fan, “What’s the perfect date look like for you?” She took a moment to ponder the perfect response, and eventually described her ideal date with a guy. “He comes to my house, he gives me spaghetti and meatballs from my favorite place, and then he just leaves,” she said. The streamer finished the sarcastic response with, “And then I just watch my favorite show with my favorite food all night. Yeah, sounds nice.” Pokimane has long been vocal about spaghetti being her favorite food, so it’s not surprising her perfect date involves being handed pasta that she can just enjoy by herself. The 25-year-old streamer’s dating life is often the subject of discussion for viewers. She’s talked about why she keeps her dating life personal, “In general, relationship stuff is stuff that I don’t like to talk about outright,” she said.

Pokimane trolls fans with hilarious fake-crying rant – Dexerto
Pokimane trolls fans with hilarious fake-crying rant Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘pokimane’ Anys hilariously pranked her viewers with a ‘teary’ on-stream rant on her food delivery, and they didn’t see it coming. As one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, Pokimane commands a regular following to her daily streams – as thousands of fans tune in to watch her play games, generally chat with them, and even react to different videos or Reddit posts. Like every streamer, Pokimane has to take time out of her broadcasts to do regular tasks like grabbing a drink, taking a toilet break, and chewing down on some food. Yet, she was left heartbroken when one of her food orders was ‘spoiled’ by two different ingredients touching each other. 600An hour into her July 8 broadcast, Pokimane cracked open her food delivery and showed it off to her viewers. “Oh my god, I got an omelet and fruit, but the fruit landed on the omelet,” she said with a disappointed tone to her voice, showing off the food to her fans. Yet, the streamer didn’t let the issue lay there. Instead, the streamer followed up with an almost three-minute-long ‘rant’ about how her discovery had ‘ruined’ her day. If some viewers hadn’t already realized that the streamer was joking, they would have when Pokimane decided to plug her PostMates affiliate link with perfection, despite trying to hold back the tears. Despite that, she carried on for another two minutes before reaching a hilarious crescendo. “I have never been more disappointed in my life because the sweetness of the fruit just ruins the savouriness of the omelet. You just have this big piece of Honeydew on top tainting it in the same manner that evil people taint our communities,” she concluded before bursting out in laughter. Even though she could recognize the flaws in her acting performance, Pokimane was still pretty proud of herself for going on the nearly three-minute-long ‘rant’ about her food. Of course, in the end, it didn’t really matter as she just ate the delivery anyway – despite complaining that the fruit had actually become salty regardless of her jokes. It’s not the first, and it won’t be the last time that Pokimane decides to troll her viewers, but maybe next time she’ll be able to pull off a bit more of a convincing performance.

Pokimane trolls the internet with fake movie announcement Twitch: Pokimane / Pixabay / Know Your MemeTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys threw the internet for a loop when a movie casting announcement turned out to be a sneaky troll. With the rise of the popularity of internet influencers, it’s unsurprising that some have made their acting debuts as a result of their resounding success. Twitch personality Pokimane revealed that she too was entering the acting life and had fans excited to see her on the big screen, before she hilariously revealed that it was all a prank gone too far. Pokimane trolled the internet On September 16, an unofficial Twitter account for Bee Movie 2 posted an announcement declaring that the streaming star would be ‘starring’ in the movie “as the voice of Vanessa Bloome” alongside a picture of the character. #TheBeeMovie2 will also be introducing new cast member @pokimanelol as the voice of Vanessa Bloome! pic.twitter.com/377BPQgZFc — Bee Movie 2 (@bee2movie) September 16, 2019 The Twitch starlet replied to the tweet confirming her role in the film, and said that she was “really excited” to work on the project and that she’d been practicing her voice acting skills in preparation. Pokimane trolled by Twitch chat over her fitness journey progress – Dexerto
Pokimane trolled by Twitch chat over her fitness journey progress PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys talked on stream about her recent workout gains, claiming she has “bread roll” abs, prompting instant trolling from her viewers Pokimane has opened up to her fans about her recent strides in her fitness journey, documenting it on her second Twitter account Imane. On that backup page, the streamer revealed she was able to hip thrust over 100 pounds and talked about how proud she was to hit that milestone. Now, she’s shown off her workout progress while simultaneously poking fun at herself in the process. Pokimane shows off her new abs The star streamer was live on Twitch when she showed off her newly acquired physique to her thousands of viewers. “I’m in that in-between phase where there’s muscle underneath but I should lose more fat on top to show more definition. And you wanna know what that results in?” Poki stood up out of her chair to show off her ab muscles, “I can tell, you know. There’s abs there, but there is still some chubbiness on top of the abs so they look like this, bro. They look like bread rolls! Do they not?” Poki pulled up a picture of actual bread rolls, which sent her Twitch chat into a frenzy of laughter, which she didn’t take kindly to. “You guys are laughing too hard, stop it! It was supposed to be an ‘Oh no, you look good’ kind of thing. Not actually laughing at me! What the f**k!” Although Poki acted offended, she really was having a laugh at how much her Twitch chat thought the bread rolls actually resembled her abs. Poki’s fitness journey is continuing and you can keep up with her progress on her second Twitter account, @Imane.

Pokimane trolled by unexpected ‘jumpscare’ during horror stream – Dexerto
Pokimane trolled by unexpected ‘jumpscare’ during horror stream Twitch: Pokimane / Know Your Meme / VisagePopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was playing a first person psychological horror game on August 16 when the jumpscare she was anticipating took an unexpected turn. Pokimane has streamed survival horror games before, recently tackling ‘Outlast 2’ on July 26. She was admittedly dreading the experience, and even needed a pep talk before starting. The next scary game she decided to tackle was ‘Visage’ – a psychological horror title released in 2018 by SadSquare Studio. During one of the game’s jump scares, the popular Twitch streamer’s expectations were turned upside down with a hilarious troll. Expect the unexpected Visage is the closest thing to the canceled ‘Silent Hills’ demo ‘P.T’ that fans will get, and was the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2016. The game puts players in a centuries old house, as the protagonist explores and learns the history of the previous occupants who had been murdered. Due to its psychological twists and turns, it was a hit among streamers in 2018. Pokimane decided it was her turn to try it out. The female star had just entered a room when the lights started to go out one by one. Her jaw dropped open, and she pleaded with the character “No! Leave! No!” before covering her eyes in terror. Anticipating the jumpscare, the popular Twitch streamer continued to peek through her fingers, when the jumpscare happened. Dance music blared as an electronic beat dropped, and the dead spirit flailed about dancing. Pokimane’s expression immediately changed, and she went from being terrified to laughing uncontrollably. After the door slammed shut, the Twitch streamer broke out in a fit of laughter, that was a mix of both relief, and finding the scenario downright hilarious as it was certainly unexpected. The room she entered is actually an easter egg to Silent Hills 4: The Room. Room 302 in particular, which Visage re-creates, includes the kitchen and the infamous chain-locked front door which prevents SH4 protagonist Henry Townsend from leaving. Pokimane is one of the top female streamers on Twitch, with over 3.2 million as of August 17.

Pokimane tricked into saying rude phrases in Japanese – Dexerto
Pokimane tricked into saying rude phrases in Japanese During a trip to Japan, popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was targeted by an IRL stream sniper who tricked her into saying inappropriate things in Japanese while livestreaming. While many streamers will take a break from streaming while they go on vacation, she saw this as an opportunity to bring her fans along to see a different side to her and a part of the world that many might not have experienced. Pokimane had been in Japan for around a week at the time of the incident, taking in the culture and doing some IRL streams to keep viewers in the loop as to what is going on throughout her travels, when she was approached by a man posing as a fan. Said fan offered to help her learn some Japanese words and phrases and – as you could imagine – this didn’t play out as nicely as Poki may have liked. The man instructed the streamer to say certain Japanese phrases, all of which were inappropriate, with Pokimane unwittingly mocking herself before her viewers and the Japanese public, thinking she was saying: “I love Japan.” Although Pokimane herself seemed entirely unaware of what was going on, the person holding the camera did question whether she was being trolled, challenging the man because he hadn’t heard “Nihon”, the Japenese way of saying Japan. It turned out that the phrase was unsavory and self-deprecative, and that Pokimane’s trust in the kindness of strangers was misplaced this time around. It’s likely a learning experience for the California resident, who may seek out someone more reliable when trying to learn new Japanese phrases next time around. Pokimane originally got her start in content creation streaming League of Legends, which recently crowned Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix as its 2019 World Champions, beating European’s G2 Esports in a 3-0 grand final sweep. What really saw Poki’s rise to fame, though, was her Fortnite Battle Royale streams, and since its release, she has become Twitch’s most-followed female streamer at 3.5 million followers

Pokimane tricks Fortnite duo into thinking she’s a “dude” – Dexerto
Pokimane tricks Fortnite duo into thinking she’s a “dude” Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most popular Twitch streamers in the world, but she managed to pull a hilarious trick on an unsuspecting Fortnite teammate by pretending to be a dude while playing with him. For those who watch Twitch regularly, Pokimane is an iconic figure, whose voice and image is instantly recognizable after her massive success on the Amazon-owned platform. While playing Fortnite duos on stream though, one young player called Nicholas found himself in a game with the streaming sensation, but thanks to some hard work and impersonations from Pokimane, he was none the wiser as to who his new friend was. Talk in a deep voice, Pokimane made sure to call her teammate “bro” throughout, screaming “let’s go” in a low register as she tried to disguise her real voice, while her young partner continually referred to her as “dude.” While her plan seemed to work, for the most part, the streamer wasn’t quite able to convey the voice of an older gentleman, asking her 11-year-old partner what age he thought she was, who swiftly replied with “13 or 14,” sending the 23-year-old into a giggle. On occasion, she slipped out of her new manly voice, especially while concentrating in high-pressure moments in-game, but young Nicholas didn’t seem to notice as they took down opponents in search of victory royales. Unfortunately, the duo never found the win they were searching for, getting so close to a victory royale but falling at the final hurdle with just one enemy team remaining. Worse still, the streamer never revealed her true identity to the young player, so he never found out who he was actually playing unless he happens to stumble across the YouTube video now that it’s been uploaded.

Pokimane to cut ties with Streamlabs after company uses images of her without permission – Dexerto
Pokimane to cut ties with Streamlabs after company uses images of her without permission Twitch: Pokimane/StreamlabsJust days after Pokimane slammed Streamlabs for allegedly copying work from competitors, she announced she’s had the company remove images of her from their website—some of which she claims were used without her permission. On November 16, Streamlabs launched a new Xbox streaming service that allows streamers all over the world to add overlays and other items to their streams. Shortly after their announcement, Lightstream, which has already provided a similar product, called them out on Twitter for copying their website. As social media erupted with the news, Pokimane, who is affiliated with Streamlabs, posted on Twitter that if the company didn’t resolve the issues being brought to light, she would ask to have them remove her face from the platform. On November 19, the Twitch streamer posted an update regarding the situation on her alternate Twitter account, stating that the company used some images of her without permission. Pokimane gives Streamlabs update While Streamlabs did post an update to their Twitter page stating that they would fix some of the issues, the internet deemed it not enough, mocking them for their copy and paste style apology. As a result, Pokimane has is making efforts to distance herself from the company. On Twitter, she explained that she requested that Streamlabs remove her image from the website, adding that they “removed 10+ images of me, some of which I never gave them permission to use.” re: streamlabs / recent lsf comments: – i already requested that they remove my image / affiliation from the site – they removed 10+ images of me, some of which i never gave them permission to use lol.. – my initial tweet was when only 2 companies had issues w/ them — imane 💜 (@imane) November 19, 2021 Pokimane also noted that when she made her original tweet about the situation, only two claims have surfaced, and since then, there have been numerous issues with the company raised online. However, she’s looking into the new claims and will be switching donation services. The streamer mentioned that it will take some time to separate from the company, due to her alert systems and donation cap that she implemented earlier this year. The creator also made sure to put extra emphasis on the fact she is definitely switching platforms. – i was hopeful streamlabs could rectify these issues or compensate the companies – i’m looking into the new claims, as well as looking into swapping donation services, but this can’t be done quickly bc i have complicated alert systems + my donation cap is through streamlabs 🙁 — imane 💜 (@imane) November 19, 2021 – this does not mean that i won’t swap, it will just take some time, i do not condone their business practices and will not stand by them — imane 💜 (@imane) November 19, 2021 The OfflineTV co-founder added: “I do not condone their business practices and will not stand by them.” Hours after Lightstream called the company out for copying their work, the creators of OBS Studio posted on Twitter claiming that Streamlabs reached out to them to use the OBS name and were asked not to. Streamlabs purportedly went on to use the name in spite of this, allegedly filing a trademark to project themselves. Since then, various big-name streamers have spoken out about the situation. In their apology, the company stated they will remove “OBS” from their name. We’ll have to wait to see what the rebrand looks like.

Pokimane to give ‘Poki’ esports college scholarship every year “forever” – Dexerto
Pokimane to give ‘Poki’ esports college scholarship every year “forever” Pokimane, TwitchTwitch streamer and internet celebrity Imane “Pokimane” Anys announced that she has partnered with UCI Esports for a brand-new scholarship, which will be awarded to one student every year “forever.” Anys broke the news during a live broadcast on February 13, announcing that she has partnered with the University of California Irvine’s esports initiative to create a special ‘Poki’ scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a student in UCI’s esports program, which Anys expressed excitement about, as it can be difficult for full-time college students to divide their priorities between studying and pursuing a career in competitive gaming. “They are pursuing esports while getting a degree in school,” she explained. “Which, I know from experience, is so freaking hard.” That’s not all: Pokimane also revealed that she will be sponsoring four STEM Advantage scholars for majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. “I’ve been working for so long because I wanted to figure out a way to give back to both esports — the community, which I’ve gotten a whole life out of — and, if you guys didn’t know, I also studied engineering while I was in university,” she continued. “Education is something that I genuinely care about so much.” This statement comes as little surprise to fans, considering that her mother is an elementary school teacher, but there’s no arguing that a scholarship from such a massive personality in the gaming scene marks a massive stride for esports’ blooming status in universities, worldwide. According to a statement from UCI, Pokimane donated a whopping $50,000 to the initiative, marking the first of such endowments to their esports program. finally announcing something i’ve been working on for months ^_^ i’m sponsoring four @StemAdvantage scholars & I’ve created the “”Pokimane Scholarship”” with @UCIEsports, which will be continuously awarded every year! 👨🎓👩🎓details @ https://t.co/j68A0Rnvb5 pic.twitter.com/kTGiEZcmtm — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 13, 2020 The winning student will receive $2,500 annually beginning in 2022, with a report from the university clarifying that “there is no limit to how many times a student can earn the scholarship during his or her time at UCI.” UCI’s latest initiative follows the construction of their very own esports arena, with the program itself having been founded in 2015 — the first of its kind, which has since led to similar projects in colleges across the United States. As esports continues to grow, so too will its involvement in higher education, with Pokimane’s donation standing as the latest chapter in an ever-evolving industry.

Pokimane thinks up new Gamer Girl Bathwater idea for ‘extra potency’ – Dexerto
Pokimane thinks up new Gamer Girl Bathwater idea for ‘extra potency’ Pokimane/UnsplashTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys had a genius idea to combine her and a friend’s powers with one of the strangest trends of 2019 – selling bathwater. The bizarre trend was popularized by Instagram star Belle Delphine, who revealed that she was selling small jars of ‘gamer girl bathwater’ for $30 because her fans wanted it. That prompted others to jump in on the act – making plenty of jokes. Dr Dipsrespect, a Doc parody channel, made a complete video about selling his bathwater sample to advertise his Twitch channel. However, nothing has quite taken off like Pokimane’s own idea to “double the potency” with a friend. 600During her August 8 broadcast, Poki had a bright idea when fellow streamer LilyPichu received a message in Anys’ chat asking when she would be selling her bathwater. “We shouldn’t just sell our bathwater, we should take a bath together and sell that water,” the streamer started, seemingly pleased by her ingenious idea. She continued on: “Can you imagine? Its like gamer girl bathwater squared – like, the contents, the potency of the gamer girl in the bathwater is twice as much as anyone else’s.” While LilyPichu seemed to push back on the idea, scrunching her face, Poki tried to convince her further. “What do you mean? It’s two times potency!” Pokimane’s viewers seemed to be on board with the idea as well, spamming “Billionaire POG,” prompting laughs from Poki. However, the streamer asked her friend a somewhat-serious question about the money they could make. “Lily, are you trying to move to the upstairs tax bracket, yes or no?” she quizzed. Anys didn’t have to wait long for an answer. “Yeah, but not like this Pokimane! Not like this! I can’t,” LilyPichu called out, amid the pair’s laughter. Despite Pokimane’s seemingly serious thought about selling bathwater, the whole exchange was, obviously, a joke, and fans won’t be rushing out to grab a few jars anytime soon. But, if she does change her mind, maybe don’t try to drink it or vape it like people did with Belle Delphine’s offering.

Pokimane explains why she thinks Twitch ban for DMCA strikes is “totally fair” – Dexerto
Pokimane explains why she thinks Twitch ban for DMCA strikes is “totally fair” Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has come out in defense of her Twitch ban, explaining why it’s “totally fair” she was whacked with a site suspension for watching Avatar and other popular TV series in the last few days. Twitch has been awash with one thing these past few days: the controversial “TV show” meta, where stars flick on long-running series for their entire streams. Streamers have been watching everything from Gordon Ramsay’s cooking shows, to iconic anime franchises like Naruto, Food Wars — one choice Pokimane quickly realized was a mistake — and Hunter x Hunter, and cult show Avatar The Last Airbender, the last of which got Pokimane banned. That shock January 8 ban set the fox among the chickens. While many declared it “the end of Twitch,” banned star Pokimane has actually come out in support of her suspension, claiming it was the right thing to do. Anys, who was freed from her 48-hour suspension late on January 9, shocked many by supporting her ban soon after she was blocked from the streaming site. In fact, she was firmly in Amazon’s camp for the whole affair. The Twitch streamer said she “wasn’t surprised” by her suspension, and went on to admit she doesn’t think it is “unfair” either — it was actually something she was expecting to happen sooner rather than later. “In my opinion,” the star wrote on Twitter on January 9, “it was inevitable publishers would take action, on me or someone else, during this Twitch react meta.” just to be clear, i’m not surprised and i don’t think this is unfair. imo, it was inevitable that publishers would take action, on me or someone else, during this react meta. will chat more about this monday, when I can further elaborate on the situation! 💜 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) January 9, 2022 Pokimane’s now-controversial January 8 stream, where she watched Avatar The Last Airbender for more than six hours in a row, was the first time the Twitch star had joined the TV meta in any major way. She hit a 30.9k viewer highwater-mark and streamed in ‘Just Chatting.’ Ironically, her stream title was “We’re finally gonna do it… hopefully nothin crazy happens.” Pokimane is expected to return to her regular Twitch streaming schedule on Monday, January 10, where she plans to address everything regarding the “TV meta,” her suspension, and future broadcast plans. “I will chat more about this situation on Monday,” the Moroccan-Canadian star promised her worried fans. “[I can] further elaborate on the situation then.”

Pokimane thinks AI streamers will take over: “it’ll be very scary” – Dexerto
Pokimane thinks AI streamers will take over: “it’ll be very scary” Twitch: pokimanePokimane believes that AI streamers could be a big thing in the future, the current content creator explaining how this could work and why the idea scares her. In a recent stream on Twitch, content creator Pokimane spent some time talking to her chat about her thoughts on AI and the role it could play in streaming. The 26-year-old content creator explained her theories in regard to the future of live broadcasts, going in-depth on the idea of AI playing a much larger role in space. “What if someday we have streamers that evolve from chat GPT?” Pokimane then broke down what that means and how they could work for streaming moving forward. “For those that don’t” know what that is, “it’s like if you could talk to Google. That’s chat GPT. It’s AI and it’s kind of freaky. It’s kind of scary to be honest but it had me think, you can basically have a conversation with this thing.” Pokimane then spoke on the idea of AI streamers taking over content creation. “You could just make it a streamer and someday, you know how we have VTubers right now, someday they could probably make a VTuber model and then program it to be an AI streamer. They would just figure it out. Yeah AI streamers. We want this streamer to have a really sweet and bubbly personality and then they’ll just grab all the typical sayings and responses.” However, Pokimane did double down on the idea that AI streaming is a concept for the future and that – if it were to happen right now – the technology would be less convincing than further down the line. “I do feel like if they make one right now it’s probably not that advanced, but someday it’ll be very advanced and very scary.” The concept of AI taking over the streaming place is something that has become a bigger discussion of late. Dexerto’s own Andrew Amos dived deep into the idea in a recent piece about AI VTuber Neuro-sama. In the feature Andrew wrote how, “artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere on the internet nowadays, acting as art generators, chatbots, and other forms of communication. Neuro-sama is an example of that, with the AI VTuber conquering Twitch and osu! at the same time.” For all the latest entertainment and streaming content, be sure to check out Dexerto’s full coverage here.

Pokimane terrified as Fedmyster pulls classic clown mask prank – Dexerto
Pokimane terrified as Fedmyster pulls classic clown mask prank Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys was the victim of another prank orchastrated by Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan when her housemate appeared in a frightening clown mask to send the streamer into shrieks of terror while she tried to complete Jump King. Pokimane is the most popular female streamer on Twitch, regularly bringing in thousands of viewers who watch her play games and chat with her audience. On top of that, the 23-year-old is also a part of OfflineTV, a group of streamers and YouTubers who live together in a house in Los Angeles, including creators like Lily ‘LilyPichu’ Ki, Michael Reeves, and Fedmyster. Living in a house with other internet stars can be a recipe for hilarious moments, and fans of the Canadian were treated to another hysterical moment when Fedmyster, who loves to pull pranks on his housemate, snuck into her bedroom to frighten Pokimane in a terrifying Pennywise mask from the IT franchise. Pokimane has been grinding her way through the notoriously difficult Jump King game for days now, growing more and more frustrated as she topples back down the course which punishes you for even the slightest error. Hoping to use her focus on the game as a distraction, eagle-eyed viewers spotted the 23-year-olds door open on the left-hand side of her camera, as a figure stepped into the room. It quickly became clear that the figure was Fed, sneaking into the room in full view of the webcam wearing the clown mask, much to the delight of Pokimane’s viewers who waited with baited breath as he creeped towards her. The streamer finally caught sight of her housemate, but by then he was already beside her, giving a roar which sent Pokimane into shrieks of terror, turning away from the frightning mask as her chat reacted with delight. Unsurprisingly, the streamer was left speechless by her visitor, although it’s not the first time Fedmyster has pulled a prank on her, so she should be getting used to it by now. Sometimes he even scares her by accident, dropping a tarantula at her feet during a stream back in October when the pair ventured out of the OfflineTV house to visit a zoo.

Pokimane terrified after almost setting fire to Twitch stream setup – Dexerto
Pokimane terrified after almost setting fire to Twitch stream setup YouTube: Pokimane / Unsplash.com: Sharad KachhiPopular Twitch streamer Pokimane was left shocked after accidentally melting a hole through her streaming equipment during a live broadcast. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most recognizable and popular broadcasters. The streamer boasts over 8 million followers on the website, and is known for humorous interactions with other influencers and her entertaining gaming streams. While all sorts of hilarious shenanigans take place during her broadcasts — including that time she helped none other than Doja Cat with technical difficulties — no one expected a fire to nearly break out in Pokimane’s streaming room. The situation began when Pokimane was attempting to change the color of a powerful light illuminating the background of her broadcast. Pokimane accidentally melts new streaming equipment At first, the steamer placed a blue filter over the light with her hands, apparently unable to secure it to the apparatus via other means. “Should I just hold it the whole time?” she joked. However, the mood quickly changed from fun to frightened after Pokimane seemed to turn up the brightness of the lamp to get a better look at the blue light effect. In increasing the brightness, she also appeared to have amped up the heat coming out of the bulb, as a flash of light and smoke emanated from the filter she was holding. Letting out a scream, Pokimane quickly removed the filter from the light, showing that a neat hole had been melted into the center of the blue material. “I melted a hole through it!” she cried. “Oh no! I f**king put a hole in it! Oh my god, that was stinky!” Crisis averted, the streamer later uploaded a clip from the stream to TikTok, joking that she’d “almost started a fire” while broadcasting live in front of thousands of viewers. Luckily, Pokimane is alright — although it looks like her poor light filter is permanently out of commission.

Pokimane teases Twitch return with new streaming room amid “mental reset” hiatus – Dexerto
Pokimane teases Twitch return with new streaming room amid “mental reset” hiatus Twitter/pokimanelolTwitch icon Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has teased her return to streaming after taking a month-long hiatus to reset mentally. Pokimane is one of the biggest streamers in the world today and second only to hot tub streamer Amouranth as the most-watched female broadcaster of 2022 so far. However, streaming so much can take a toll on a person’s mental health, and in July, Pokimane announced she would be taking a break from streaming to reset mentally – something she said was essential to the longevity of her career. Now, it seems like that hiatus is almost over, as the popular streamer is returning to social media to tease her comeback with some major upgrades to her Twitch content in the form of a new streaming room. Pokimane explains why she hasn’t returned to Twitch yet In a post on her personal Twitter, Anys thanked fans for their positive comments on a photo she had posted the day prior and revealed there are some big plans in the works. “My new stream room isn’t finished yet,” she said. “I’ll announce a return-to-stream date soon.” Yes, it’s true that this is an announcement of an announcement, but on the bright side, it seems like Pokimane could be back on Twitch very soon, depending on the progress made on her streaming room. It wasn’t that long ago that YouTube legend PewDiePie roasted Pokimane’s old streaming room, prompting her to upgrade it. The transformation ended up earning the Swede’s respect, but it seems like Poki is far from finished. There’s no telling what this new streaming room will look like, but given the money at Anys’ disposal, chances are it’s going to be the envy of gamers everywhere when she ends up unveiling it. Plus, Pokimane has assured fans that her new setup will be much different than prior incarnations because “half her stuff broke during her move.” Hopefully, fans won’t have long to wait for a refreshed Pokimane to start making content again and potentially overtake Amouranth as the top female streamer as she recovers from her hot tub literally exploding.

Pokimane tears up explaining Twitch break and changes to streaming schedule – Dexerto
Pokimane tears up explaining Twitch break and changes to streaming schedule YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane has officially returned to social media after a month-long break from streaming with an emotional message to fans explaining her “new chapter” of content. In mid-July, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys announced she would be taking an extended break from streaming on Twitch for a “mental reset.” While this wasn’t the first lengthy hiatus she’s taken from her streaming job, she was gone from her channel for over a month — as well as much of her other social media accounts. On September 1, Pokimane released an emotional YouTube video explaining the reasons why she decided to step away from streaming, one of them being the need to simply “breathe.” Pokimane also mentioned the “constant feedback loop” that streamers fall into during their careers, constantly relying on comments and criticisms of themselves in order to please fans. Pokimane speaks on the pressures of being a Twitch streamer “I do recognize that putting myself out there so much, especially streaming, it revolves around this constant feedback loop of people telling you what they think of you. From seven-second TikTok clips to 10-minute YouTube videos to 10-hour streams, and they all revolve around comments.” The streamer also mentioned that she often feels the need to “capitalize on every trend” and keep up with other broadcasters, saying that she is “at a point in my life where it doesn’t feel creatively fulfilling to feed into that anymore.” Pokimane to shift focus on other social media platforms Now, Pokimane will focus less on her Twitch channel and more on other platforms like her TikTok and YouTube channels. The streamer says she will likely broadcast only 2-3 days per week and that viewers can expect more from her on other platforms. “Streaming and gaming does fit in there, but it doesn’t have to be everything,” she said. “My heart yearns for more, and it yearns to explore more, while still keeping that part of my identity, and I really hope you guys can be understanding of that.” Anys ended her message with a tearful message to fans, saying it feels like she’s “closing a chapter” in part of her career. Thus far, fans are extremely supportive of this move for Pokimane as she sets her sights on the future.

Pokimane teases mysterious new contract – is it Mixer? – Dexerto
Pokimane teases mysterious new contract – is it Mixer? Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys revealed that she’s in the process of signing a contract and making an announcement soon, sending her fans into a frenzy as they speculate if she could be the next streaming star to move to Mixer. Twitch has lost top streamers Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins and Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek in the last three months, leading many to speculate who else might be in talks with Microsoft to sign an exclusive deal for their streaming platform. During her latest stream on October 30, Pokimane teased that she is currently signing a contact and will have something to announce soon, fueling the speculation that she might be the first major female streamer to leave Twitch for Mixer. 600Did Pokimane tease a potential Mixer move? The Twitch star was chatting with her audience, when she teased them with a mysterious announcement. “I’m not gonna lie I do have something to announce. I’m signing the contract most likely soon!” she exclaimed. This sent her chat into a frenzy, as many users spammed “Mixer” and speculated what she could be hinting at. The streaming personality clarified that it had nothing to do with Japan, as that is a different future announcement. As her fans continued to say she’s moving to Mixer, the Twitch star addressed it and said, “You guys can say Mixer as much as you want. You could literally spam that word a million times in my chat. It will not change what I’m gonna say!” Not shooting the idea down, she then teased further and exclaimed, “Like whether it is, or whether it’s not. It won’t matter. Because what am I saying now? Nothing. I’m going to say it when I say it. I’m not saying sh*t now!” The streaming personality said she wasn’t kidding, but then told her audience how she would have trolled people with a Mixer meme. “I wanted to on Twitter, and be like listen guys, I’m moving to a new streaming platform. Is it Mixer? Is it YouTube? Is it Facebook? Are you staying on Twitch?” She then explained the punchline. “Guys new live streaming platform, and then I just link f*cking to [adult site] slash Pokimane” the Twitch star laughed. All jokes aside, she clarified that she does have an announcement. “It’s true I do have something to announce. It’s soon though, it’s very very soon!” Only time will tell what Pokimane’s announcement may actually be, as the star was tight-lipped when pressed further on it. But she did joke that it could be something like “getting a new cat”, which could be seen as her lowering fans’ expectations. However, if Microsoft did land a deal with her, it would be a major blow to Twitch as she is currently the top female channel on the platform as of the time of writing this article.

Pokimane on Melee at EVO During a stream on October 29, Poki talked at length about the fighting game community and their frustrations. She said, “I really appreciate how welcoming and sweet the fighting game community has been. Not just me, towards RTS, towards this acquisition, towards everything.” She clarified as to why she thinks they were so cordial, and noted: “But to be fair I also feel like they have been starved of not just attention, but any form of deceny or respect for so long, that they’re like ‘Oh my God, someone being nice!’” Poki then mentioned Melee by name and said, “Do you know the amount of friends that have messaged me and were like ‘Free Melee! Can you get it back on the main stage?’, and I was like, noted guys, noted.” The hashtag FreeMelee went viral in November 2020 when Nintendo sent a cease and desist letter to the tournament series The Big House, which planned on hosting an online Melee tournament using the app Slippi. Smash Melee has not appeared at EVO since 2018, and bringing it back would be huge for the games community which is still strong despite the game being over 20 years old. Bringing Melee back to EVO would be huge for the game and Pokimane’s recognition of their struggles will bring them hope that Melee will be back on the big stage some day again.

Pokimane surprises winner in Pokemon giveaway with an extra gift – Dexerto
Pokimane surprises winner in Pokemon giveaway with an extra gift Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys showed a tremendous act of kindness to a viewer during a giveaway on November 19. The Moroccan-Canadian loaded up Marbles on Stream to give her viewers a chance to win Pokemon Sword and Shield on the Nintendo Switch. Marbles on Stream lets up to 1,000 viewers “race” as marbles down a track and is one of the more unique ways to do a giveaway on stream as opposed to drawing a random number. “Do you have a Switch?” Pokimane asked the winner of the second race, Steelooo as she loaded up a personal chat with them. The user’s simple reply of “PogChamp” got a laugh out of Anys. “That’s so cute,” she mused. “Do you have a Switch, good sir?” For awhile there was no response until a few moments later, the race-winner responded with a devastating “no.” “Why are you entering a giveaway for a Switch game if you don’t have a Switch?” the shocked Poki responded with a frown draped over her face. A few seconds of silence later, the streamer decided to up the reward for the honest viewer in a big way. “But it’s your lucky day, ’cause I’ll give you one,” she added with warm open arms. The viewer, however, may have been typing before she added the console prize because they replied saying, “pick another one. It was fun.” “Awe, you’re so nice,” she laughed, but dismissed the idea of doing yet another race. “No, I’ll give you one as well. I decided that the first person that wins today who doesn’t have a Switch… would get a Switch and Pokemon.” She did note, however, that the user’s honesty was nice as they could easily have said “give me the money, b*tch.” The happy viewer replied thanking the generous streamer who went above and beyond to accommodate the soon-to-be Pokemon trainer. While Pokemon Sword and Shield already broke the all-time sales record for Pokemon games in the United States, Pokimane’s generosity will certainly be adding to that record in a big way.

Pokimane stuns Aria Saki with over 1,000 gifted Twitch subs – Dexerto
Pokimane stuns Aria Saki with over 1,000 gifted Twitch subs Pokimane/Aria SakiPokimane has started to share her massive stockpile of Twitch gifted subs starting with fellow Twitch streamer Aria Saki. As we reported earlier in October 2021, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has so many gifted subs on Twitch that it’s actually starting to give her PC problems. The Twitch star is starting to make a dent in that pile though, starting with a gift of 1,000 subs to fellow streamer AriaSaki. At first, Pokimane started off with a slow drip in Aria’s stream by only giving about 50 subs at a time. She quickly upped it to 100 gifted until she rapidly approach four digits. “Poki oh my goodness, thank you, I love you,” Saki said when the subs started. Once the gifted Twitch subs started to flood in, Aria even questioned whether or not she was in her right mind. “Poki, this is not OK, girl, what the heck? She’s not stopping!” Aria said. “Poki, what are you doing, you’re drunk! Go home!” Saki told her friend. It was getting hectic after the 400-sub mark but Poki wasn’t going anywhere until she hit 1K. https://twitter.com/imane/status/1447689363941257218 After Poki had donated her thousand, the total gifted subs for the stream was over 1,200. The OfflineTV-affiliated streamer decided to pay tribute to her surprise benefactor. How? By writing “Pokimane” on her chest, of course. It was definitely a small price to pay for Aria considering the massive haul Poki brought to her channel.

Pokimane stuns fans by treating them to free meals Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane surprised her fans by Tweeting that for a limited time, she will be paying for their meals through Venmo. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is among the most popular female content creators on Twitch, with an impressive following of over 9 million fans. The prominent streamer often interacts with their fanbase, a great example of this is earlier this year when she warned her fans and others about a dangerous fad. Pokimane decided to treat some fans to a meal forwarding the offer via a March 24 Tweet that read: “I want some of y’all to enjoy a good meal on me tonight, reply with your venmo & what you feel like eating.” Pokimane treats her Twitter followers to free meals Fans who took her up on the offer were pleasantly surprised, and some even got way more than they bargained for. “Since it’s Ramadan I’m craving some taco bell, these youtube ads don’t help,” wrote one user. They probably did not expect the response from Pokimane which read: “hope u can eat 100$ worth of taco bell.” “I wanna eat some Spicy chicken Raman with thick noodles and 5 eggs cooked all the way through,” wrote fellow content creator JiDion. To which the Twitch star responded: “next meal at Twitch con is on me.” “My partner loves ramen so much usually the one in Pasadena called Ramen Tatsunoya,” reads another request. Pokimane was more than happy to also grant that one, writing: “enjoy a cute couple meal on me!” Pokimane responded to various requests through the night and was probably responsible for a lot of succulent, free meals distributed that night. A handful of good deeds that might have gone a long way for her fans.

Pokimane stunned by “perfect unban request” from apologetic Twitch fan – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned by “perfect unban request” from apologetic Twitch fan YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane is no stranger to the occasional odd unban request — but one fan’s plea for forgiveness had her dying of laughter because of how wholesome it was. Pokimane, like many other broadcasters on Twitch, has made a fairly hilarious series out of sharing her unban requests with her 8.3 million viewers. On Twitch, moderators can ban unruly fans from talking in streamers’ chats, which the banned fans can appeal by requesting an unban. Usually, the banned viewer will explain the circumstances that lead to their time-out — sometimes due to a misunderstanding, or, more often, because they were acting out. Many of these requests can be quite hilarious and downright outrageous. Pokimane has shared quite a few of these on her YouTube channel, the latest of which featured a surprisingly wholesome unban request from a fan who’d sent a not-so-wholesome message during one of her Minecraft streams. The phrase that had gotten the viewer banned was: “BL*W ME.” At first glance, this message seemed like a crude and inappropriate phrase to send to Pokimane — but their appeal put the whole situation into perspective. According to the fan, Pokimane had been streaming a Minecraft session when a monster started chasing her up a building. Apparently, Poki had said something to the effect of, “Oh my god, it’s below me” — but it didn’t exactly sound like that, at least to the viewer. “When she said it, in 0.5 seconds I said, ‘BL*W ME LUL’ because it sounded funny,” they explained in their unban appeal. “As you can see from my previous chat logs, I’m very much a mindless Twitch chatter. This is my first offense! I was not trying to make advances toward Pokimane. I apologize for how it came across.” Luckily for the viewer, Pokimane found the entire situation to be nothing short of hilarious and granted him an unban, as well as a round of applause. “This is the most perfect, beautiful, eloquent, and sweet unban request I’ve ever received,” she wrote in her response to the matter. “I welcome you back into my chat with open arms.” (Topic begins at 8:34) This is far from the funniest unban request Pokimane has gotten, as there’s an entire treasure trove of ridiculous moments from her unruly Twitch viewers in the archives.

Pokimane stunned by fan’s “cute” Minecraft marriage proposal – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned by fan’s “cute” Minecraft marriage proposal Pokimane, Twitch / Freepik.comImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s top broadcasters, known for her popular streams and humorous interactions with fans — one of whom approached her with a unique “marriage” proposal. While it’s no secret that Pokimane boasts a massive fanbase, some of her viewers take their enthusiasm to the next level, as seen in the case of a fan during a May 5 broadcast. Anys was in the middle of speaking to her chat when she received a two dollar donation, which had a completely unexpected “proposal” for the streamer in its accompanying message. “It really is time, Poki,” the fan wrote. “Chat, shut up for a second. This is important. Will you marry me on Minecraft? I own three cows, twelve chickens, two cats, and one dog. I’m just a simple farmer, but I have big dreams. You can finally retire from being a Twitch e-girl.” Although visibly surprised by the fan’s message at first, it seems that Anys was taken by their “simple farmer with big dreams” bit, letting out a lengthy, “Awww!” “Stop, that’s so cute!” she exclaimed, breaking into a laugh. “Finally!” “Your ASMR is relaxing,” the donation message continued. “Any new ones coming?” “Thank you!” Pokimane responded to the donator. “I don’t know! I am very, very proud of the ASMR collection that I’ve made so far. Maybe someday I’ll get a real feel for doing something else.” Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time the streamer has been met with a similar sort of “proposal” : the star was also approached by a fan during TwitchCon 2019, who asked her to be his girlfriend with a note during a meet-and-greet photoshoot. Unfortunately, she shot down his big dreams, writing back, “Don’t ask people out at TwitchCon.” (Topic begins at 5:26 for mobile readers) While being put on the spot in front of hundreds of people could be nerve-wracking for anyone, Pokimane’s responses to these humorous “proposals” shows that she knows how to handle unexpected confessions — even if they are just practical jokes.

Pokimane stunned by Hasan ghosting dating app matches – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned by Hasan ghosting dating app matches Hasan/PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was helping fellow streamer Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker with his dating profile when she was shocked at how beautiful a girl was that he ghosted. Hasan is known for dishing out dating advice to his viewers during a show he’s dubbed “Chadvice.” xQc has been vocal in his stand against Hasan’s advice on dating, calling it “dogs**t.” Even with the public criticisms, the show continues to be popular on both YouTube and Twitch. Although, when Pokimane stopped by Hasan’s house to stream together, she noticed he might need some advice of his own after seeing his dating app match history. Pokimane shocked by Hasan’s match history Pokimane and Aria Saki swung by Hasan’s place to play games and improve his dating profile. Hasan read aloud a message he got on a dating app: “‘Going on a haunted hayride, you should come with me and my friends’, and I just never responded.” After Pokimane began mocking him for ghosting the girl Hasan said: “To be fair, it’s VERY scary. I’m scared of the haunted hayride!” Pokimane then flashed a picture of the girl Hasan matched with to the camera. “She is SO fine. You wack for that. You’re giving these girls insecurity problems, okay?” Poki said. Hasan cracked up at the jab by his fellow streamer, who couldn’t believe he left that girl on read. It seems that there is no shortage of girls who love Hasan, just don’t ask him on a date where he could get scared.

Pokimane stunned as ex-Manchester United star gifts her subs on stream Twitch: PokimaneTwitch streamer Pokimane was left absolutely lost for words after ex-Manchester United star Javier ‘Chicharito‘ Hernández gifted subs to her. In the past few years, we’ve seen everything from music stars, football players, and even government officials make their way onto Twitch broadcasts. Fans love the crossovers too, as hundreds of thousands of viewers tune in when it happens. Notably, U.S. politician Alexandria ‘AOC’ Ocasio-Cortez shattered records with her Among Us stream in late 2021. The stream became one of the most-watched events to date. Now, two worlds have collided once again, as ex-Manchester United player Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández left Twitch star Pokimane shocked after gifting her subs. Pokimane amazed after football star gifts subs The 26-year-old streamer was left stunned toward the end of her January 8 broadcast. While casually waiting for her Valorant game to start, a message in chat caught her eye. “CH14: Tell Poki we met at Roy’s place a few days ago we have the same trainer,” a fan wrote, a message which came from Chicharito himself, which certainly got the Twitch streamer’s attention. “You’re the one that gifted subs?!” she exclaimed. “No guys you’re not going to believe who this is.” “This is Javier, one of the most famous soccer, football, whatever you wanna call it, in the world.” She continued: “Yeah we have the same trainer? And he’s in my chat gifting subs? That’s crazy.” The 34-year-old LA Galaxy striker streams on Twitch himself as a pastime alongside his professional football career — and is even signed to the esports organization Complexity Gaming. It’s fair to say Poki and her chat were left stunned by footballer’s unexpected appearance in her channel.

Pokimane left stunned after Valorant teammates unknowingly trash-talk her – Dexerto
Pokimane left stunned after Valorant teammates unknowingly trash-talk her Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left red-faced after her Valorant teammates started roasting her not knowing she was listening in the whole time. Pokimane has a huge collection of games that she consistently plays on her streams, but none can compare to her love for Valorant. Although she has been proclaimed as the “best” Valorant streamer on Twitch by some, she has had to deal with her fair share of hate over the game and her playing tactics. She then came face to face with such toxicity during her livestream when, as she was doing a brilliant job leading her team, her fellow players started bad-mouthing her. Pokimane catches teammates trash-talking her On July 9, Pokimane streamed her “secret” Valorant playthrough in which she hid her identity from her teammates. As the group was pelted relentlessly by their rivals, one team member was mistakenly informed that Pokimane was “playing against” them when she was actually part of the team. As a result, they started bad-mouthing her thinking she wouldn’t be able to hear them, unaware that she was reluctantly listening in to every word they said. After debating whether Pokimane was playing as Sage, one of them joked that they were going to “shaft” her. But, the plot failed and Pokimane helped lead her team to victory. Following on from the match, however, Pokimane sat in silence and simply responded to her concerned viewers in her chat that she “didn’t want to talk about” the “cringe” encounter. Yet, her dedicated fanbase was on hand as always and sent a wave of support and encouragement as she went ahead with her stream.

Pokimane stunned after viewer baits her into watching fake Ninja TikTok – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned after viewer baits her into watching fake Ninja TikTok Twitch: Pokimane / TikTok: NinjaTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys was left speechless after a donator baited her into watching a Ninja TikTok video. Only problem is, it was fake and highly inappropriate. Successful Twitch streamers have a good relationship with their audience, and a part of that dynamic is engaging with them through donations. Viewers give them money in the hopes of being noticed, or having their message read aloud. Unfortunately, tricksters abuse that system to try to get the personality into trouble. Pokimane learned that the hard way during her February 16 broadcast when a donation saw her watching a fake video featuring Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins. Pokimane baited by donation prank The streamer was in the middle of her broadcast when a donation came in that said, “Hey Poki have you seen Ninja’s new Tik-Tok? Poggers!” After the message finished, she opened up YouTube to check it out. The video started out as Ninja’s TikTok collaboration with Jeffree Star that was posted on January 30. “Oh, I saw…” she began to say, before the clip cut to a naked man shaking his rear instead of the makeup mogul. Pokimane quickly ended the video before it could show too much on stream, and was stunned by what she’d seen. “Oh my God…” she exhaled, before placing her hand on her chest. The streaming star continued to breathe heavy, and exclaimed, “Oh my God! That was so scary. Oh my God!” She continued to be taken aback by the sneaky prank that tried to get her to show something inappropriate during her broadcast. However, she quickly realized that she had paused just in time before it fully showed nudity. “Oh thank God! Oh! The reflexes, man!” she said to her chat.”Okay, ’cause I have seen that one. But NOT that version! I saw that one, but not that version. I saw the actual Jeffree Star version!” The Twitch personality often views content suggested by those that donate to her stream. However, this was clearly unexpected and not the usual safe material suggested by her chat. If nothing else, this serves as a good lesson that streamers can’t always trust their chat. Although viewers trying to trick Pokimane better think twice, because she clearly has cat-like reflexes due to being used to online trolls by now. The Moroccan Canadian streamer is the top female channel on Twitch, with over 3.9 million followers as of the time of writing.

Pokimane stunned after receiving another inappropriate gift from fan – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned after receiving another inappropriate gift from fan Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left speechless after she received an extremely rude gift during her Christmas fan mail opening stream – and now it’s revealed she got sent another. To celebrate Christmas back in December, the female Twitch personality opened fan mail during a special broadcast for viewers, in which she received a rather rude item. Now, a January 6 YouTube video shows that the questionable gift wasn’t the only inappropriate present the Moroccan-Canadian got – though this one was a bit less crude. Pokimane’s inappropriate gift In the video titled “FAN SENT ME INAPPROPRIATE COSTUME,” the 23-year-old innocently opened parcels sent in from viewers when she suddenly exclaimed “what the f**k is this?” before she held up a black shirt facing away from the camera. “I mean, what the frick is this?” Upon turning the item of clothing around, it was revealed that the Twitch star has received a t-shirt with “stealing your views” written across the front in the shape of a pair of women’s breasts. “True!” Poki exclaimed, before she burst out laughing. She held out a Christmas card from the recipient, and stated, “The reason I said “what the heck is this?” is because their card, it’s Twitch chat.” (Timestamp 2:26 for mobile viewers.) The card was of a conversation between some fans who were talking about the way some people assume female streamers pull in views for their broadcasts – by showing off their chests. “How do you have so many followers? “Probably because of b**bs.” the personality read out. “This is actually really funny, I like this!” The OfflineTV member finished off by revealing that she might actually wear it sometime: “I might just rock it one of these days!” Pokimane is currently the top female personality on Twitch, and boasts over 3.7 million followers on the Amazon-owned platform at this time of writing. She gained her popularity for League of Legends broadcasts, but now is seen as more of a variety streamer due to her venture into other content.

Pokimane stunned after teammate claims he’s being robbed live on stream – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned after teammate claims he’s being robbed live on stream Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was shocked when her Valorant teammate claimed a man wielding a gun was trying to break into his apartment complex during their match. Unlike other entertainment mediums, streaming is as real as it gets due to its live nature. While viewers are watching their favorite personalities, sometimes the real world can disrupt things in a very scary way. This is what happened during Pokimane’s April 12 Twitch broadcast when one of her teammates claimed someone was breaking into the apartment near them. The Morocco-Canadian was stunned, and urged him to call the police. Pokimane stunned after teammate witnesses a break-in The streamer was in the middle of playing Valorant with TSM’s Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos when their teammate abruptly announced that someone was breaking into his apartment. “Hey, not gonna lie, someone’s trying to break in my apartment near me, with a gun,” they said. Stunned, Pokimane replied, “Oh my God. Don’t play. Don’t play. Please, go call the cops!” He then added, “I’m being 100% serious, I’ll be back.” Read More: Nadeshot explains why Ninja & Shroud were right to move to Mixer The room then sat in silence, clearly shaken by what happened, when Pokimane said, “That’s scary!” The player’s friend assured them he wasn’t trolling. “He’s my IRL friend, he wouldn’t f**k around.” She replied, “Hopefully everything is okay. Try to check on him ASAP if you can!” Concerned, Poki then suggested he call the cops or check to see what is happening. “Should you call the cops to his place?” she asked. “I mean, I’m getting ready to call him to see if he’s alright,” he replied. As the Valorant match continued, the popular streamer told him that it didn’t matter if they won and that he could call now. “You can call him now. We don’t care about winning the game!” Greek pointed out that their teammate had said “near” his apartment, when the friend stated, “I hear him on his mic now. I think he’s okay.” The TSM personality exclaimed “Oh, thank God!” at the news. While it’s not entirely clear what happened to Pokimane’s teammate, it appears that in the end he was alright. The moment is an example of how a broadcast can quickly turn serious due to it being live. Despite the scary situation, the Twitch streamer continues to crush it on the streaming platform. At the time of writing she’s amassed over 4.4 million followers to her channel.

Pokimane stunned after dating sim character gets nude on stream – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned after dating sim character gets nude on stream Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” Anys received quite a shock during a January 11 broadcast after a dating sim she was playing took a surprising turn, thanks to an unexpected dialogue choice. While Pokimane is most often touted for her humorous interactions with fans and entertaining Fortnite streams, she has been known to branch out into other genres, as well. One of her most-played outside of the battle royale genre includes a sort of real-life dating simulator, which, instead of featuring anime characters, stars actual people who act out each scenario as players go along. The game in question, appropriately titled, “Super Seducer 2,” labels itself as “the world’s most realistic seduction simulator” — although viewers might find themselves disagreeing with this sentiment after seeing a few minutes of gameplay. Pokimane herself may have effectively debunked this description, as she was in the middle of a date with a female character when one of the dialogue options that was presented read, “Show them your mangina.” Needless to say, this both sickened and intrigued the streamer at the same time, and she warily chose this option after giving a loud gasp. “How would he even do that?” she asked — and she didn’t have to wait long to find out. The character asked those at the bar to turn away while he dropped trou in what he explained was a “party trick,” although neither Anys nor her character’s date were very impressed. However, Pokimane was more concerned with breaking Twitch’s Community Guidelines, hoping that the content was allowed, since it took place within the setting of a game. “Eww!” Pokimane cried. “They actually kind of do it! Is that allowed ‘cause it’s in a video game? Eww! He actually did it? Eww!” While this isn’t the first time Pokimane has played the dating simulator on stream, this marks one of the more outrageous moments to spring from the game, giving both the streamer and her audience a good laugh (despite being a little grossed out by the character’s weird “party trick.”)

Pokimane stunned after finding her “long lost twin” lookalike – Dexerto
Pokimane stunned after finding her “long lost twin” lookalike Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was floored when she found someone who looks so identical to her, she could be mistaken for her “twin.” Pokimane is one of the most popular entertainers in the world, boasting millions of followers across YouTube, Instagram, and of course her Twitch channel, where she is one of the most watched streamers on the platform. However after the Moroccan-Canadian asked her fans to submit photos of people that look like her, she was stunned when one of the submissions looked like a perfect clone. The personality thought she could pass for a sibling. Pokimane finds her twin lookalike The search for Poki’s doppelganger kicked off on April 9 when the Twitch streamer made a post on social media asking her fans to send people that looked similar to her for an upcoming video. “Send me my look alikes/people you think look like me, and you may be featured in an upcoming video” she tweeted. The post received over 2.5k replies, as viewers shared pictures of those identical to the personality. send me my look alikes/people you think look like me, and you may be featured in an upcoming video 👀 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) April 10, 2020 On April 20 the star uploaded a video to her YouTube channel where she went through the results. However, one person in particular caught her eye and made her lose it. “This is it. This is the ONE person that I’ve ever looked at and been like ‘you’re my long lost twin!’” she said. She then told her viewers “Look at this!” and played them a clip of her doppelganger. “That’s me! Like, I’m gonna do the exact same zoom in a video,” she exclaimed, before re-creating the clip on her phone and putting the two videos side by side to highlight how much they look the same. “Oh my God! It’s insaaaaaane!” The streamer then pointed out how their features matched. “The hair color is the same, the smile is super similar. The nose to eyebrow, to eye, it’s all so similar! I think she looks like a babier version of me. Awww, she has the dimple like me too! I love that so much!” (Timestamp 10:05 for mobile users.) Not only did the viewer get compared to Pokimane, the streamer herself gave them a major compliment, stating, “This is the first person i’d actually say looks like me… But cuter!” While the streamer is massive on Twitch with millions of followers, her YouTube account is even more impressive. At the time of writing, it has an astonishing 4.8 million subscribers.

Pokimane spills influencer secrets they “don’t want you to know” – Dexerto
Pokimane spills influencer secrets they “don’t want you to know” Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane spilled the tea on influencer secrets, sharing three big inside tips that fans might not know about their favorite content creators. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch, where she boasts over 9 million followers. She’s one of the site’s most prominent streamers, having garnered a massive fanbase throughout the course of her ten-year career. Thus, it makes sense that she’s privy to some major industry secrets — a few of which she decided to spill in a recent TikTok clip. On March 6, Anys took to TikTok to share a few deets from her experience as a content creator that she claims some of her peers might not “want you to know.” Pokimane opens up on “fake relationships” between influencers First, Pokimane claimed that more creators are in “fake relationships” than their fans might think. She said that this happens more often with YouTubers than creators on other platforms, and clarified that they’re “not crazy common, but they do exist.” “That’s why sometimes, when you hear, ‘Oh, someone cheated on someone,’ it’s not cheating, they’re just not really together,” she explained. Anys went on to assert that many high-profile creators on sites like OnlyFans don’t actually message all their subscribers. Instead, she says that they often employ people to handle the messaging for them — sometimes even turning to agencies to help. Her third and final point claimed that influencers will often rent designer clothes for major events or photoshoots, or will sometimes be sent specific clothing from brands to wear for an activation that they must send back when they’re finished. “A lot of the clothes that you see influencers wear are rented or borrowed if they’re smart,” she said. “But that’s a big trap for people who want to be influencers, like they think that they need a bunch of Louis Vuitton or Gucci and this and that, and so they spend a bunch of money buying that. But honestly, the people who have already made it, they wear that stuff once and hand it back.” This fashion tip follows Anys’ trip to Fashion Week, where she debuted a new hairstyle that divided her fanbase with strong opinions (although it’s unclear if she rented her designer duds for that particular occasion, or not).

Pokimane explains why she started secret “PokiTwit” Twitter group for fans – Dexerto
Pokimane explains why she started secret “PokiTwit” Twitter group for fans Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has started a ‘secret’ Twitter group for her biggest fans. Called “PokiTwit”, the star explained she wanted to build a community on the platform that isn’t constantly invaded by haters and trolls. Pokimane has dealt with haters throughout her career. They’ve come after her for everything and anything, including claims she uses a fake persona, flexes her wealth, and more. She vowed to never change things to appease them. However, the toxicity they bring often spills over into social media too. Haters lock horns with fans for posting about her, let alone defending her. So, in a bid to stamp that out, she’s created a fan-only Twitter group. “We made a little Twitter group,” she said. “It’s the best thing that’s happened to me in 2022. Let me show you guys.” She held her phone up to the camera and offered viewers a sneak peek of the private group. “It’s called PokiTwt, and it’s just all these cute community members posting cute sh*t.” It’s a safe haven for fans to talk about her without toxicity from outsiders — which is the reason why she made it. “It’s really nice because I’ve always wanted a way to build a community of people on Twitter that doesn’t constantly get invaded by a**holes. I feel like this is finally the way how. Because I don’t want to private my account.” The PokiTwt Twitter community isn’t much of a secret anymore — not since she posted a link to it on her secondary Twitter account. If you’d like to check it out, you can do so by clicking here. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need to agree with a set of rules enforced by moderators. This includes being kind and respectful, open and inclusive, posting safe-for-work content, and more.

Pokimane speechless after streamer shares weird reaction to her selfie – Dexerto
Pokimane speechless after streamer shares weird reaction to her selfie Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left stunned when a viewer informed her that a fellow streamer had taken one of her selfies and performed a bizarre act with it, and was even more shocked when she watched the clip. Pokimane is the top female personality on the Amazon-owned streaming platform with over 3.87 million followers. While most encounters with viewers are positive, sometimes some people can just be downright weird – something that she, and other broadcasters, have experienced many times. The latest bizarre interaction actually rendered the 23-year-old speechless because of how odd it was, and served as a stark reminder that while the internet is a wonderful place, there’s always something out there to catch you off guard. Streamer’s weird reaction to Pokimane’s photo During her January 30 broadcast, a viewer informed Pokimane of a clip that was going around of a fellow streamer using her photo for an odd yet gross performance. “It’s not TOS I would think, it’s a guy kissing your butt as a pic,” the Bits donation read, alongside a direct link to the questionable clip. Upon hearing the automation voice read out the message, the Moroccan-Canadian pulled a weirded out facial expression as she hesitantly clicked on the video and paused her music to see what all the fuss was about. “Hang on, boys! Hang on!” Australian streamer Empirrre exclaimed as he pulled up a full-length Twitter selfie of the Twitch star and moved his camera overlay right next to her backside. “Let me just flip my camera around!” Once he’d positioned himself in the “right” place, the 26-year-old proceeded to lean in and “kiss” her bottom. “How do I do it?!” he asked his chat as he continued the bizarre performance. In response, the OfflineTV member shook her head and then hilariously moved her camera overlay to the left of the streamer’s and stretched her arm out so that he was “kissing” her hand instead. Pokimane was able to see the funny side, as she broke out into laughter shortly after – though she still had a look of utter confusion and bewilderment etched across her face. What struck the Australian to perform such a weird act is unknown, but it didn’t stay on her mind for long, as she immediately went straight back to what she was doing before she saw the clip.

Pokimane left speechless by bizarre Bob Ross confession during painting stream – Dexerto
Pokimane left speechless by bizarre Bob Ross confession during painting stream Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys was left stunned by the instructions of a Bob Ross painting video as she tried to replicate the artist’s work on stream. As one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, racking up over 3.1 million followers on the livestreaming platform, Pokimane is no stranger to bizarre on-stream moments that leave her and her army of viewers either speechless or cringing. She has already been scarred for life by Belle Delphine’s Twitter account, and even gone through an embarrassing Twitch Sings moment, but things went up on a notch as she attempted to follow along with a Bob Ross nature painting during a special seven-hour livestream. During her July 21 broadcast, the popular streamer had been following along with a Bob Ross painting for over an hour when the instructions began turning towards the finer details. The iconic clouds came into play but Pokimane was surprised to hear Ross say: “I get excited when I see these – they turn me on.” Stunned by what was said, the streamer immediately stopped following along and turned to look straight down the camera. She was speechless for a few moments before uttering a solemn “What?” and returning to her painting. Of course, the bizarre statement threw Pokimane off her game and she had to rewind the video for a brief moment to get back to where she was. However, the streamer had to take another brief pause as viewers began spamming her text-to-speech donations with hilarious comments. After one in particular prompted the program to spit out an incredibly annoying noise, Poki screamed: “This is quiet painting time! Quiet!” before staring at her viewers and carrying on with the painting. Ultimately, it didn’t seem to matter all that much as Pokimane produced an impressive landscape image of her own after a few more hours. While it didn’t match the levels set by the famous television artist in the instructional video, fans were clearly impressed and asked her if she would consider selling it. Poki admitted that she was keeping ahold of this painting but would consider that possibility in the future. If she does dig into the extensive Bob Ross archives for another painting, she might want to check it out beforehand first – just so she doesn’t run into any more strange comments.

Pokimane speaks out against ‘simp’ hate: “it reinforces misogyny” – Dexerto
Pokimane speaks out against ‘simp’ hate: “it reinforces misogyny” During a recent Twitch stream, Pokimane called out ‘simp’ hate and explained how it reinforces misogyny and has affected her own relationships with male friends. Simp, a North American term the Oxford Dictionary defines as “a silly or foolish person”, has been bastardized by the internet and is more commonly used to degrade a person who seeks affection from someone else. The term ‘simp’ has become a popular insult on Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter for those who defend or praise female content creators. Pokimane’s community is often in the crosshairs of ‘simp’ hate as a portion of her viewers is younger boys seeking the streamer’s attention. During a ban appeal segment on her June 26 stream, Pokimane reviewed the ban of a user who was “going through a simp hunting phase.” To which the streamer opened up about her feelings towards ‘simp’ haters. Pokimane disapproves of ‘simp’ hate While reviewing a ban appeal from a user who was calling other viewers simps, Pokimane expressed to the user why he shouldn’t use ‘simp’ as an insult. She wrote that, if the user’s parents are still together, their dad probably simps for their mom, and expressed that ‘simping’ is just a normal part of loving other human beings. She then addressed her viewers further communicating why she disagrees with the matter. “Isn’t it weird young boys are being told ‘simping’ is so terrible? ‘If you’re doting on a women, it’s so terrible.’ But it’s not.” Pokimane went on to call ‘simp’ hate “sexist” and even claimed that it “reinforces so much lowkey misogyny”. She then opened up about how the negative connotations associated with ‘simps’ have affected her. “Throughout my entire career as a female streamer, I have sensed – on numerous occasions – my male counterparts or male friends being afraid to stand up for me because they will be labeled simps,” Pokimane stated. “How else can you describe that but some weird internalized misogyny?” At the end of 2020, Twitch banned the use of the word ‘simp’ following a revamp of the platform’s harassment policies. This led to streamers being both elated and confused, and Twitch had to clarify that action would only be taken against users who use ‘simp’ as an insult.

Pokimane speechless after leaking her email during first-ever CoD stream – Dexerto
Pokimane speechless after leaking her email during first-ever CoD stream Instagram/pokimanelol/Infinity WardTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left visibly stunned after she accidentally left her Call of Duty account information open while going to refill her water bottle during a live broadcast. On May 29, the Moroccan-Canadian streamer was in the process of setting up her copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – a game series that she has never played during her illustrious broadcasting career, let alone her whole life. “To everyone asking, yes – this is my first time playing Call of Duty,” she revealed. “Any sort of Call of Duty.” Considering the fact Anys is 24-years-old and the first-ever Call of Duty game released in 2003, there are seventeen years worth of games she missed out on. “I never played it on console or anything else. I’ve never played Warzone,” she added. “So, it’ll be fun. And the thing is, I don’t even watch Call of Duty really, so I don’t even know what the gameplay is like because I don’t really watch stuff until I know how to play it.” That was all going to change, however, as this was the day Pokimane was going to answer the call. Sadly, her first time ended up being a little awkward. As the game installed, the streamer went to get a drink, but left a screen with her email and Activision ID fully visible for her chat, resulting in a ton of incoming friend requests – and who knows how many emails. Upon coming back to her computer, the streamer saw what she had done and put her hands to her head in frustration. Note: Dexerto has cut the portion of the clips where Anys’ personal information was leaked. Eventually, however, after a good dozen seconds of Poki burying her head in her hands, a small smile emerged on her face and she carried on like any good soldier. “You know, I’m almost not mad because it’s comical for me to go AFK at that exact moment,” she laughed. “It’s f**king comical.” While her first-time deploying into the world of Modern Warfare wasn’t exactly glamorous, it’s still good to see that Pokimane was able to pick up self up, even though she may need to completely change emails after this incident. Pokimane isn’t the first big name to leak an email on-stream. Notably, PewDiePie had this happen to him twice. It just goes to show that streamers should always be careful with what they show to their viewers.

Pokimane sparks YouTube rumors as Twitch contract ends – Dexerto
Pokimane sparks YouTube rumors as Twitch contract ends Twitter, @pokimanelol / Twitch / YouTubeSuperstar streamer Pokimane’s time with Twitch may be coming to an end, as she announced that her contract with the Amazon-owned platform is officially over. Without revealing whether she will re-sign or move to YouTube, she has teased the date for her upcoming decision. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is no average content creator and the place where she conducts her business matters to a lot of people. On Twitch, where she has streamed exclusively under contract for two years, she has over 8.9 million followers. Across both her Twitter profiles and her Instagram account, Poki has over 12.5 million followers. And, of interest to those wondering where she may stream next, she already has 7-plus million followers on her two YouTube channels. In a January 31 tweet, the incredibly popular streamer announced that her Twitch contract has officially ended. Further, fans will need to wait over a week to find out where her “next chapter” will be written. Pokimane announces end of Twitch contract after a wild 2 years, my Twitch contract ends today 🥲 i’ll see you guys February 8th for the next chapter ❤️ much love to you all — pokimane (@pokimanelol) January 31, 2022 In the new tweet, Poki explained that her “wild two years” with Twitch are coming to a close as the platform’s exclusive contract ends. Accompanying the announcement, she included a happy, but sad smiling, crying emoji. Teasing her “next chapter,” she also said that fans will be able to see her again on February 8. While this isn’t clearly linked to any streaming platform, many are wondering if this means a switch to streaming on YouTube. Pokimane leaving Twitch for YouTube Gaming? Just five minutes after Poki’s tweet, YouTube Gaming put out a cryptic message of their own that has deepened speculation about the streamer’s next plans. In the past, Poki has made jokes about YouTube’s streaming offerings, but nothing venomous enough to suggest she wouldn’t join the wave. With Twitch streamers like Ludwig swapping over and Poki’s friend Valkyrae teasing other signings, many believe the stars are pointing toward Poki jumping ship as well. Following YouTube Gaming’s tweet, a common guess has been “Imane,” which certainly fits the character spaces cryptically included… as well as the current hype train.

Pokimane sparks backlash over child-stealing joke: “This is messed up” – Dexerto
Pokimane sparks backlash over child-stealing joke: “This is messed up” PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys made a joke on stream about ‘how children are so cute, she could “steal” one’ and it’s caused a stir online. Pokimane was streaming on Twitch on December 10 when she talked at length about just how cute babies are. “You guys want to know how I know I’m a woman in my 20s? Because, when I’m walking out… and I see a little kid, and I look at them, and they look at me, and they look SO damn cute,” she gushed. “And their cheeks are nice and round and supple. And they’re so little, and they’re wearing little people clothes! Like, you know when the clothes are little and it’s so f**king cute?!” She then joked, “And they’re looking like the PeepoWow with the big eyes, and I’m like, your little body and your little clothes but your big cheeks! The cheeks are too big for the little body! And I look at the parents, and the parents aren’t looking, and I’m like ‘It would be so easy to steal your child.’” Although the comments about “stealing a child” were an obvious joke, it drew in some criticism from her chat who spammed tons of question marks throughout her baby-adoring rant. The clip also drew in some attention on social media with one Twitter user who said, “you know you’re super f**ked up when even your twitch chat unanimously agrees that this is messed up,” amongst many others. you know you’re super fucked up when even your twitch chat unanimously agrees that this is messed up — Araraura (@Araraura1) December 11, 2021 Not everybody found it offensive, though. One fan responded with “Why is everyone losing their minds at this? She just said little kids are cute, literally every woman I’ve [seen] between 20 and 70 years of age has said something like this at some point. Go outside.” Lol. Pokimane slams viral flying Tesla stunt for taking things “too far” – Dexerto
Pokimane slams viral flying Tesla stunt for taking things “too far” YouTube: Pokimane / Alex ChoiTwitch star Pokimane is hitting out at those responsible for the recent viral ‘flying Tesla’ stunt that saw one of the electric cars vault over a hill at high speeds — with a cat inside. Just a few days ago, YouTuber Alex Choi uploaded a video showing off the “car shenanigans” taking place at a Tesla meetup in Los Angeles, California. However, things took a drastic turn when one of the Tesla enthusiasts flew their vehicle off a steep hill, rendering the car airborne for a few jaw-dropping seconds before crashing into the street several hundred feet away. Luckily, no one was hurt during the stunt, with Choi saying that he does “not condone reckless behavior that endangers the lives of others. Everyone is lucky to be alive.” Unfortunately, the driver wasn’t the only one risking their hide to perform the daredevil act — a cat was also in the car at the time of the incident, something that Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys just couldn’t condone. She reacted to the viral clip during a recent broadcast and hit out at those responsible for driving dangerously with an animal in the vehicle, saying the stunt went “too far.” “The cat didn’t ask to be involved in your tomfoolery!” Anys exclaimed. “If you’re gonna tomfoolery, at least do it on your own! What if you crash and the cat’s in there?” “That cat was just trying to live its life, y’know? Eat some tuna. Sleep in the sun. You’re sticking it in a car and endangering one of its nine lives.” Los Angeles police confirmed the car was a rental and showcased the damage on their YouTube channel, revealing the Tesla had hit two parked vehicles before coming to a stop. Describing the incident as a “misdemeanor hit and run,” LAPD are offering a $1,000 reward for any information that can be used to identify the driver.

If she does manage to reach it, there will only be a handful of active channels above her including Shroud, Tfue, and Ninja – despite his move to Mixer.

Pokimane slams users claiming Adin Ross faked live Twitch swatting – Dexerto
Pokimane slams users claiming Adin Ross faked live Twitch swatting Twitch: PokimanePokimane slammed users claiming Adin Ross faked getting swatted during his recent Twitch stream, questioning why they would even think that. During his live stream on November 9, 2022, Adin Ross was swatted in front of over 200,000 viewers before Twitch banned his account as per guidelines due to him losing control of his stream due to police action. Unlike past swatting incidents where police enter the building, Adin received a phone call from the police to inform him of their presence — prompting many to believe it was fake and staged. As it was happening, Pokimane reacted to the incident and slammed those who made claims that he would fake such a thing. Pokimane slams viewers claiming Adin Ross faked swatting incident After tuning into Adin’s stream as the swatting incident took place, she shared her thoughts about it as well as Adin’s comments about the alleged perpetrator. Adin said that the alleged perpetrator’s parents raised a “stupid, snotty, little sh*t,” to which Poki replied with the thought that his parents probably didn’t raise him at all. Seconds later, she began noticing viewers claiming Adin faked the swatting. She said: “Why are people saying he’s faking it? Why would anyone wanna fake a swat? Oh, that’s scary.” Just minutes later, Adin and his friend were told to leave his apartment so the Las Vegas Police Department could search to make sure the call that caused them to arrive was, in fact, a hoax. While many are left wondering why his incident was initiated by a phone call from the police department, it’s completely possible that Adin communicated that he was at high risk of being swatted and gave them his phone number after his incident last August. That doesn’t mean the police just wouldn’t have to respond, however, as they still need to make sure the coast is clear — just like what happened on Adin’s stream.

Pokimane slams viewer who criticized her for wearing leggings on stream – Dexerto
Pokimane slams viewer who criticized her for wearing leggings on stream PokimaneTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys lashed out at a viewer who suggested she wears leggings on stream “all the time” for an ulterior motive, which led to a ruthless response from the content creator. Women on Twitch are no strangers to inane criticism that can come from the platform’s audience, and while some tend to brush off the remarks as quick as they come, others bask in returning the attempt of ridicule back to the source. The 22-year-old was in between Fortnite games when a viewer suggestively expressed their curiosity at her choice of attire, which a portion of Twitch viewers seem to think is used as an advert than anything else. Although the statement was one of many passing thoughts on Pokimane’s stream, she decided to immediately shutdown the scrutiny. “‘I’m starting to think you wear leggings all the time for a reason,’” Pokimane read before giving her reply. “Yeah, there is a reason. It’s cause they’re comfy as fuck and I’m playing video games.” Poki returned the criticism back to the viewer, while also bashing jeans for being a terrible choice of clothing. “You want me to wear jeans? You at home, are you wearing jeans? Tell me are you wearing jeans? Disgusting… jeans,” Pokimane said. Her reply was deeply laced with critical irony, seeing how it’s a good bet that most players, streamers, or viewers at home tend to enjoy their hobbies in clothes meant for comfort.

Pokimane vs Ninja: Jidion hate raid fallout leads to threats of legal action – Dexerto
Pokimane vs Ninja: Jidion hate raid fallout leads to threats of legal action Instagram, @pokimanelol / Twitch, NinjaTop Twitch stars Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins have engaged in a heated war of words, even threatening legal action, after the latter was called out for using his connections to allegedly help Jidion, a streamer who received a permanent ban for ‘hate raiding’ her. On December 13, Pokimane ended her stream prematurely after Twitch streamer Jidion brought a hate raid to her channel – with viewers harassing her and spamming comments like “L + Ratio.” After said hate raid, Jidion’s Twitch channel was promptly suspended for 14 days, which was soon extended to a full, permanent ban on January 17. As Poki explained in her stream on the same day, the saga isn’t over. Ninja has since jokingly referred to Pokimane and other streamers as “bitches” while allegedly texting his Twitch connections to help Jidion avoid a ban. Pokimane calls out Ninja for “bitch” comment & Jidion support Pokimane has called out Ninja for his actions during the Jidion drama and him attempting to help Jidion “”evade a ban for harassing her”” pic.twitter.com/COsMgA8OXM — Jake Lucky (@JakeSucky) January 17, 2022 During her January 17 stream, Poki dove into the situation with Jidion and appeared confused by Ninja’s reaction. According to her account, Ninja was speaking about the hate raider’s behavior and said “you can’t run around raiding bitches on Twitch.” While he explained that he “meant bitches generally,” Poki was left with a simple question: “I wonder if Ninja would have said “bitches” if it was a large male streamer who was raided.” Further, the streamer was also puzzled by Ninja’s attempts to help Jidion avoid the punishment Twitch laid out. She recounted to her chat how the rest of Ninja’s stream continued: “Ninja then keeps joking about it and says that Dijon (Jidion) is f**ked but that he will do whatever he can to help him, but don’t expect too much.” What exactly did Ninja say? As seen in a video of Jidion reacting to Ninja’s stream, the section Poki talked about wasn’t entirely inaccurate. During a gaming session, Ninja can be heard giving Jidion advice not to “ratio bitches,” which immediately prompted a surprised response. Reacting to the guidance, Jidion simply jumped up and ran across his room – shouting “he called her ‘a bitch’?!” As Poki summarizes, Ninja supposedly texted his “Twitch representative” on stream, seemingly in hopes that Jidion’s ban might be lightened. Casually calling female streamers “bitches” is one thing, but this final portion of the reaction is what truly baffled Poki: “Why Ninja would help someone evade a ban for harassing me? I have no idea, I genuinely don’t know.” Ninja threatens to sue Pokimane The situation continued to spiral out of control as the two Twitch stars traded blows across social media. Sharing a private message from Ninja’s wife Jessica Blevins was the next step for Poki. “We are considering everything defamation of character at this point,” Blevins told Poki before warning their legal team is now “getting involved.” “You are spewing lies to tens of thousands of people.” Furthermore, she claimed Ninja “never reached out to anyone” at Twitch to support Jidion. “We have clarified everything to you. “You are actively bringing harassment to Tyler and I right now at the highest level and we are taking this very seriously.” Poki soon followed up once again “willing to accept” that Ninja may have “pretended to text his Twitch representative.” After all, she admitted there’s no way to “disprove” it. However, she “wanted the clip out there” nonetheless.

Pokimane slams Streamlabs for allegedly copying work and using OBS’ name – Dexerto
Pokimane slams Streamlabs for allegedly copying work and using OBS’ name Twitter: Pokimane / StreamlabsImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys slammed Streamlabs for allegedly copying work from a competitor and using the name of OBS Studio, a free and open-source program, against their wishes. Streamlabs describes itself as “the best free live streaming software.” It provides tools and features that can help content creators do everything from broadcasting their streams to handling alerts, donations, overlays, and more. It originally started as an online service. However, it later transitioned into a free and open-source variant called Streamlabs OBS (SLOBS). This change largely took after OBS Studio, a similar open-source program that offers many of the same features for free. It now turns out that OBS Studio reportedly asked the team at Streamlabs not to use their exact name before the changes went live. Not only that, but the co-founder of Lightstream, another browser-based streaming studio also accused them of copying aspects of their website. “Streamlabs should be ashamed,” said the CEO and Co-Founder of Lightstream. “Not satisfied enough to ride OBS’ hard work. Now to copy ours down to the layout and every word on our marketing site and our UX in this product.” He shared a side-by-side screenshot comparing the two websites and implied the resemblance between them is uncanny. https://twitter.com/StuV2/status/1460710778462482440?s=20 OBS Studio responded and elaborated on his point. “Near the launch of SLOBS, Streamlabs reached out to us about using the OBS name. We kindly asked them not to. They did so anyway and followed up by filing a trademark. “We’ve tried to sort this out in private, and they have been uncooperative at every turn… We’re often faced with confused users and even companies who do not understand the difference between the two apps.” OBS Studio concluded that while Streamlabs “legally” did nothing wrong, they “repeatedly disregarded the spirit of open source and of giving back.” OBS Studio also vowed to keep providing “free, open software and tools for everybody.” We’re often faced with confused users and even companies who do not understand the difference between the two apps. Support volunteers are sometimes met with angry users demanding refunds. We’ve had interactions with several companies who did not realize our apps were separate. — OBS (@OBSProject) November 17, 2021 Pokimane, who is affiliated with Streamlabs and has an image of her featured on their website, caught wind of the situation. She threatened to sever ties with them if they don’t acknowledge and rectify the situation. “Streamlabs better resolve this entire thread of issues or I’ll be asking them to take my face off the platform,” she said. If they fail to comply, she vowed to “look to use another donation service.” Other streamers chimed in, too. streamlabs better resolve this entire thread of issues or i’ll be asking them to take my face off the platform + look to use another donation service. https://t.co/jfJoxIvc0y — imane 💜 (@imane) November 17, 2021 Streamlabs responded to the allegations from Lightstream. “We made a mistake,” they said. “Text on the landing page was placeholder text that went into production by error. This is our fault. We removed the text as soon as we found out.” They also released an official statement on the matter assuring everyone that they are “taking immediate action” to remove OBS from their name. “We take responsibility for our actions and will support the community.”

Pokimane slams Fedmyster’s second OfflineTV document: “Who asked?” – Dexerto
Pokimane slams Fedmyster’s second OfflineTV document: “Who asked?” Instagram: Fedmyster / Twitch: PokimaneFormer Offline TV member Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan has released yet another lengthy Google Doc regarding the accusations of misconduct against him from OTV streamers, claiming he wants to “move on” from the drama. Fedmyster was released from OTV in June 2020, after streamers LilyPichu, Yvonne and Pokimane levied accusations of harassment and inappropriate conduct against him. Following these accusations, it seemed that all was resolved, with Fed having been removed from the group as a result; but a Google Doc seemingly leaked from the disgraced streamer in late November, which set off a chain reaction of outrage across the internet. In the leaked November document, Fed appeared to accuse Pokimane of not being honest about their relationship to her viewers, and included screenshots of private text messages between them. We strive to be a place where everyone can feel comfortable and safe. With that in mind, Fed has been removed from Offline TV. He will also no longer be living with us. We wholeheartedly support Yvonne, her statement, and anyone else who has the courage to share their story. https://t.co/heh8ya3A9l — OfflineTV (@OfflineTV) June 28, 2020 While Pokimane went on to respond to this document, saying he’d admitted his guilt, Fedmyster released yet another lengthy statement on December 1, claiming that he had actually never intended to release the original Doc. Instead, he explained that it had actually been a “form of therapy for myself, to address my concerns about the way Poki portrayed me in her stream.” Fedmyster also purported that a formerly-trusted member of his community had leaked the document, leading to a “violent breach of my trust and against my wishes as I’ve been working hard to grow, heal, and move on from everything.” The former streamer likewise addressed allegations that he had attempted to get Yvonne fired from the group due to her accusations against him. Denying that he had ever wanted her kicked from the crew, he claims that his concerns were due to her “lack of excitement and willingness to help with OfflineTV projects when it’s the only reason she’s in the house.” He included several other explanations regarding his text messages with Pokimane, as well as his portrayal of Jodi toward Poki, who he apologized for, “painting her to Imane in such a poor light.” https://twitter.com/Fedmyster/status/1333907168425340931?s=20 Fedmyster ended his document by claiming that he wants “to move on and start a new chapter in my life,” hoping to put the issue to rest once and for all. Pokimane has since responded to the document with a scathing tweet, writing, “Who asked lol.” Yvonne has also weighed in on the second document. She provided a short response, and didn’t mention Fedmyster by name. The OfflineTV star wrote, “Yeah, crossed boundaries definitely sounds way better than sexually harassed.” yeah crossed boundaries definitely sounds way better than sexually harassed — ywonnie 🎀 (@ywonniee) December 2, 2020 Fedmyster’s long document has been met with similar reactions from readers online, marking yet another episode of an ongoing incident between some of Twitch’s top content creators.

Pokimane slams League fans over response to LilyPichu & Michael Reeves MSI cameo – Dexerto
Pokimane slams League fans over response to LilyPichu & Michael Reeves MSI cameo Twitch: LilyPichu, Michael Reeves/Instagram: pokimaneTop Twitch star Pokimane slammed the League of Legends community over their response to her friends, LilyPichu and Michael Reeves, having a cameo in the Mid-Season Invitational groups draw. Pokimane and many of her peers actually came up on Twitch through League of Legends, starting as LoL streamers before expanding into other titles and growing exponentially as content creators. Since creators such as Lily have long been so interlinked with the community, she and Michael Reeves were invited to make a small cameo at the MSI draw, and before long, the backlash started to come flying in. Tweets and various posts across social media were implying that Lily and Michael had no right being on the show, and before long, Pokimane made her thoughts on the issue known. We aren’t getting paid for this. They just asked me and I said sure can I bring Michael, that’s it. Honestly regretting my decision from the backlash tbh. I didn’t realize it was this serious. — lily 💙 (@LilyPichu) April 22, 2022 Speaking about all of the negative tweets, Poki felt inclined to defend her friends and explain why their critics are wrong. “I feel like this is one of the reasons the League of Legends community and game isn’t doing as well as it could,” she said. “I think League is a great game, it’s a really, really fun, well-made game. But some parts of the community just get mad over things that really don’t … it’s just… you know. “Lily, someone who’s been making League content for over 10 years and has devoted so much of her time to it, is still considered as random or someone that’s not relevant enough to be doing what she’s doing. What kind of copium are they sipping to be thinking that? Timestamp 4:08 Poki went on to call out certain comments, questioning calls for others to take Lily’s place because they’ve got a better rank in League of Legends, telling fans to “put some respect on her name.” “This level of toxicity for something this insignificant, that is meant to be entertaining anyway,” she said, clearly a bit perplexed by the thought process of critics. “I just think it’s a little unreasonable … It’s been really hard to convince myself to go back to streaming League, just because the community isn’t as nice as so many other games’ communities.” MSI 2022 kicks off from May 10-29, and with all groups drawn, fans are now looking forward to the international League of Legends action.

Pokimane slams Dafran’s ‘sexist’ reaction to Sinatraa abuse allegations – Dexerto
Pokimane slams Dafran’s ‘sexist’ reaction to Sinatraa abuse allegations Sentinels/Instagram/pokimanelol/BlizzardPopular Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys blasted fellow streamer and former Overwatch League star Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca for what she viewed as a sexist take on the allegations facing Valorant pro Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Won. As Dexerto reported, on March 9, Sinatraa’s ex-girlfriend Cleo ‘cle0h’ Hernandez posted a document where she alleged that the Sentinels player was sexually abusive in their relationship. Dafran, being a former teammate of Sinatraa’s during their time on the Overwatch team Selfless, was extremely vocal in his defense of the 2019 OWL MVP. In a series of controversial tweets, Dafran wrote that, “E-girls can be f***ing scary as a Twitch streamer. They will try to jebait or photoshop evidence and then f*** you. I’m not saying she is one, but she could be.” https://twitter.com/dafran/status/1369563442319925251 After facing backlash for his remarks, he doubled down and followed up by writing, “How is it fair that someone can scream r*pe at a public figure and everyone bandwagons without question? The public is gaining too much power, the world is f**ked.” Francesca’s comments quickly spread, with Pokimane addressing his remarks live on air. At first, she had no idea that Dafran was an actual streamer with a sizable following and believed him to just be an internet troll. Pokimane responds to Dafran’s remarks “I have been in this industry for so long that I’m desensitized to a lot of the bulls**t. However, and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt real hard, but something you cannot gloss over is as hard as he’s trying to make his perspective seem logical, he’s ignoring the fact that he ultimately based this off of her gender,” she stated after reading the Danish streamer’s tweets. “He’s not saying ‘be careful of who you believe on the internet,’ he’s specifically saying she is a girl therefore be careful because they will trick you,” she added. “Like we are in a fantasy erotica and all the women around us are succubi.” Anys continued her attack on Dafran, commenting that while she thinks he tried to be “skeptical” and “logical,” he only has this perspective because the accuser was female. “I can promise you as a girl who’s been in this scene for years, this is just another reflection of the fact that we are rarely ever given the benefit of the doubt,” she insisted. “We have to work so hard to even be half as credible as someone simply because of what’s between our legs. And that’s crazy.” Dafran responds to Pokimane During his own stream, Dafran responded to Pokimane’s comments, making his Twitch title: “I stand by everything I said on Twitter… and no I’m not sexist like this Pokimane human says.” “Pokimane calling me a sexist, I don’t give a f**k. Get f**ked, dude. Doesn’t change my opinion,” he said on stream. “Just because they have 60,000 viewers or whatever doesn’t mean that they’re right.” “The world is f**ked if it keeps going like this where we just instantly believe the girl with their accusations. Like, it’s just f**ked up. We need both sides,” he concluded, ending his broadcast. Riot Games and Sentinels suspended Sinatraa, preventing him from playing in the Valorant Stage 1 Masters as they investigate the allegations. Additionally, the Overwatch League is refunding OWL Tokens to players who purchased his MVP Alien Zarya skin. Blizzard will also be removing MVP badges from the skin in a future patch. Won himself commented on the allegations on March 10 where he denied ever assaulting his ex-girlfriend. He further added that he was cooperating with the investigations. Cloud9’s Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo will be replacing Sinatraa in the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour Masters 1.

Pokimane slams desk during epic rage after game progress resets – Dexerto
Pokimane slams desk during epic rage after game progress resets PopularLeague of Legends and Fortnite Battle Royale, she now often tries out new games too, for some variety. While playing “Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy,” which requires the player to climb their way up to the top of the map with a hammer, Pokimane couldn’t help but rage after her progress was nearly completely reset after her hammer did not connect to an NPC in-game. Pokimane was shocked to find out that she could not climb higher by latching the hammer next to an NPC of a little boy on a slide, instead sliding down the hill and off the map – slamming her desk and yelling, “Wait the little boy’s head isn’t a thing, I’m so angry!” She then went on to rage about the game’s fault, shocked by the possibility of being reset so far, saying “there’s literally no way!” and later saying that the game’s design was to blame, saying “that’s just dumb, I was doing so good.” “I was doing so flippin’ good! I’m so mad at how good I was doing,” Pokimane exclaimed, as she tried to rush her way back up to the top once again. Many of Pokimane’s viewers compared her epic rage to something they would see from fellow streamer xQc, who is known for not holding back when things don’t go his way. Pokimane later managed to make her way back to the slide with the boy NPC again and despite taking a slightly different, more cautious route, however, she found herself failing once again before ultimately giving up for her attempt at the game. Despite not having the best success with the game’s progress, her attempts and fails seem to make for a highly entertaining stream, with viewers wanting her to continue with her play-through of game.

Pokimane slams claims that diehard Twitch “stans” are bad for streaming culture – Dexerto
Pokimane slams claims that diehard Twitch “stans” are bad for streaming culture Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has come out swinging against suggestions diehard Twitch “stans” — ultra-loyal supporters and fans — are bad for streaming culture, instead claiming they’ve mainly been a positive force online. With the gaming world producing more and more new-age internet celebrities over the past few years, stans (“zealous fans”) have become a hot topic on Twitch, YouTube, and many online forums and channels. Many claim “stans” have no place online, especially when they’re quick to retaliate against criticism, and often negatively impact other creators in a bid to defend their own favorites. This has often been the case with high-profile fandoms like BTS Army, Dreams’ Minecraft fans, and more. There are some that want to see them snubbed entirely. According to Pokimane, however, stans should not be shunned from streaming culture but instead praised for how they’ve “positively” shaped the budding scene. Pokimane waded into the ongoing conversation this week, sharing her thoughts on diehard streaming fans — self-appointed “stans” — on November 22. “People have a lot of opinions on stans,” the Twitch streamer said, “but it’s undeniable they’ve made the gaming sphere more inclusive for women, LGBTQ+ people, and people of color, and I’m very grateful for that.” The 25-year-old conceded that less “obsessive” fans had also played a major role, but explained that the true loyalists were the main driving force. “I agree all new-age fans have helped a lot, but in my opinion, the particular dedicated and younger fanbase have been majorly influential.” Pokimane also agreed with Aimsey: “[Twitch’s rise] proves fandom communities are just as important as streamers, because they are powerful.” people have a lot of opinions on stans, but it’s undeniable that they’ve made the gaming & internet sphere more inclusive for women, lgbtq+ people, and POC. and i’m v v v grateful for that 🥲 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) November 22, 2021 The Twitch star’s stance on “stans” and their role in the streaming sphere that is ever-building doesn’t mean she thinks the darkest corners of those same fandoms should be celebrated though, she added. Those fans, Anys said, have no place on Twitch or elsewhere. “Plenty of fans refer to themselves as stans but don’t exhibit obsessive or unhealthy behavior,” she said. “Those that do need to understand it’s not okay.” While Pokimane is all for “stans” in the streaming scene, she’s been less eager to see parasocial relationship relations spring up in her Twitch chat recently. Just last week, the Moroccan-Canadian star called viewers who repetitively ask her questions about her private life “weird and obsessive,” and threatened to ban any viewers who did similarly. At one stage, Anys even roasted a fan she’d had to suspend multiple times. “It’s weird and obnoxious,” she said. “Please stop trying to psychoanalyze or micro-manage my relationships with others. I live my private life off-stream.”

Pokimane slams critics telling her to “move on” from Jidion hate raid drama – Dexerto
Pokimane slams critics telling her to “move on” from Jidion hate raid drama YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane is hitting back at internet trolls telling her to “move on” from the harassment she’s receiving as a result of a hate raid orchestrated by banned streamer Jidion. On January 13, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys ended her Twitch stream early after she and her viewers received an outpouring of harassment from fans of fellow broadcaster Jidion. Jidion had instructed his own viewers to harass Pokimane, resulting in her followers receiving alleged threats and hateful messages amid the chaos. As a result of this hate raid, Jidion was permanently banned from Twitch. Jidion has since apologized for the raid and is making efforts to distance himself from the ongoing harassment against Anys. However, the hateful treatment hasn’t stopped with Jidion’s ban. On January 19, Anys published a list of current issues she’s still experiencing as a result of the raid, and even included a screenshot of multiple Instagram DM requests containing hateful messages. Unfortunately, this treatment has yet to stop. A quick look through Pokimane’s social media posts shows a slew of similar comments. Pokimane hits out at trolls telling her to “get over” Jidion hate raid drama Anys published a Tweet on her secondary account hitting out at the ongoing hate — more specifically, at commenters telling her to “get over” the drama, despite continuing to receive constant hateful messages and remarks daily. i’m tired of people minimizing the harassment i’ve received over the last week to “just L+ratio spam” so here’s a list ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/BUa7oqgRPB — pokimane (@pokimanelol) January 19, 2022 “To those telling me to ‘move on’ or ‘stop dragging it out…’ I’ll move on once I stop receiving 1000s of hate messages daily!” she wrote. “You move on first, you freaking weirdos!” Luckily, Pokimane has seen support from a swath of other streamers, including the likes of Disguised Toast, Valkyrae, Mizkif, and even music artist Bella Poarch. That being said, streaming star Ninja has threatened legal action against Anys after she called him out for appearing to text his Twitch representative as a means to purportedly reinstate Jidion after his ban. For now, it doesn’t look like the situation is calming down as both Pokimane and the Twitch fanbase await a response from Ninja amid the ongoing harassment.

Pokimane slams backlash over “flexing her wealth” in viral makeup-free tweet – Dexerto
Pokimane slams backlash over “flexing her wealth” in viral makeup-free tweet Twitch, Twitter: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane is hitting back at criticism for “flexing her wealth” in a viral tweet where she used her infamous makeup-free selfie. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys met up with fellow influencer Jidion on February 15 — nearly a month after he orchestrated a hate raid against her that resulted in his permanent suspension from Twitch. Despite the overwhelming amount of harassment Pokimane received as a result of the raid, the two made it clear they are on good terms and even want to collab again in the future. During their meetup, Jidion dared Pokimane to use her infamous makeup-free photo as a way to hit back at the haters — by using their own fodder against them. “You should just tweet out that picture of you,” he said. “Just be like, ‘This face makes more money than you’ll ever see in your life.’” True to her word, Pokimane accepted the dare and posted the tweet as soon as Jidion’s collab video went live. this face makes more money than you’ll ever see in your life pic.twitter.com/ZB1dtKexr8 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 15, 2022 Pokimane slams haters over makeup-free selfie While the post was met with major acclaim from Pokimane’s fellow streamers and her fans, others felt as though she was unfairly flexing her wealth as a top streamer. Anys hit back at this criticism in a live stream the following day, claiming that those criticizing her tweet are missing the full context of the situation. “I hope you get that mad at multi-million or billion-dollar conglomerates that take advantage of their workers, in comparison to a random girl on the internet who’s been streaming and working hard for eight years to make her money and also employs numerous people at, if I do say so myself, pretty healthy and liveable amounts of money.” “And who, toward the people who try to discredit her achievements via the way she looks without makeup, is sh*tting on them, saying you are likely not successful at all,” she continued. “I do understand why people would be upset at others for flexing their wealth in general, but contextually, do these same people get mad when YouTubers showcase their brand-new Lambos?” Poki added. It’s clear that Pokimane is proud of her hard-earned cash and isn’t afraid to put haters in their place — and neither is her friend and fellow streamer, Valkyrae, who also came to her defense over the post.

Pokimane shuts down idea of Corinna Kopf fight: “I need a good reason” – Dexerto
Pokimane shuts down idea of Corinna Kopf fight: “I need a good reason” Twitch/PokimanePokimane has addressed why she won’t fight Corinna Kopf despite the two going back and forth online about the issue of promoting gambling during Twitch streams. During her recent interview on the Banter podcast, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys explained why she won’t be boxing Corinna “pouty girl” Kopf. At the end of September, Kopf called out Poki for her position on promoting gambling during Twitch streams. Poki was quick to fire back on the call out and as a result, the two traded blows online for a couple of days before the situation diffused. During her chat with the Banter boys, the topic of Poki’s online beef with Kopf was brought up, one of the hosts then asking if she would ever consider stepping inside the ring with her. “To be honest, no,” was Pokimane’s immediate response before the content creator then dove into the “two reasons” why she doesn’t want to fight Kopf. “For starters, if I’m going to fight someone I need a good reason,” explaining that “being annoying on Twitter” isn’t a good enough reason and that the kind of online discussion they found themselves in “doesn’t really bother” Pokimane. The second reason that Pokimane put forward is that she does not want to get involved with her or engage with her community and followers again. “I saw when she had tweeted about me, the replies were so disgusting that I knew I wanted to stay as far away as possible from her and her followers or whoever. Not my cup of tea.” However, Pokimane did add that she would be more inclined to “really go off” at someone if they were “to do something to someone that I care about a lot.” Before moving on, Pokimane did once again clarify her comments about Twitch’s gambling promotion issue and how she thinks that type of content should not be advertised to such a young audience. “Honestly my take wasn’t even ‘don’t gamble’, it was ‘let’s just not promote gambling on a website where it is like fifty to seventy percent kids’. Actually I can’t say those stats for sure but there are a lot of younger viewers on Twitch that should not be advertised to in that regard.”

Pokimane slams Alinity for “messed up” cat abuse after clips go viral – Dexerto
Pokimane slams Alinity for “messed up” cat abuse after clips go viral Twitch: Pokimane/AlinityPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left in shock after watching two now-viral clips of fellow streamer Alinity Divine, which have been widely criticized as animal abuse. On a July 18 stream, Alinity was playing Apex Legends when her cat, Milo, seemingly got in the way of her ability to play, and she responded by simply throwing the cat up over her head, and out of shot. This has since been paired with a clip from around a year ago, which shows Alinity spitting vodka into another cat’s mouth. The two incidents have led to widespread criticism online, including from animal welfare charity PETA and British comedian Ricky Gervais. 600Now, though, Twitch’s most popular female creator, Pokimane, has weighed in on the issue, and it’s fair to say she is not impressed with fellow streamer’s behaviour. On July 19, with the community still in uproar over Alinity’s behaviour, Pokimane reviewed the clips after being encouraged by her viewers. A cat owner herself, Pokimane couldn’t believe what she was watching: “She did deadass yeet the cat. That’s messed up! Especially because you can’t see what’s around her. Like if I picked Mimi up, and I tossed her to the side here, she would land on my bed… but also I wouldn’t overhand yeet her, that’s a little bit much.” She then followed the Twitter thread to the aforementioned clip of Alinity spitting vodka into her cat’s mouth, which provoked Ricky Gervais to say that there are “so many stupid people in the world”. After spitting the vodka into the cat’s mouth, Alinity begins to laugh, but Pokimane definitely didn’t see the funny side. “Oh my god!” she exclaimed. “Oh my god, that poor cat. Sorry like, I have a Mimi so this shit – seeing a cat freak out like this! Aw, poor honey! And she tries to play it off as ‘oh haha you see it’s vodka?’ But deep down she knows it’s pretty messed up.” Given the backlash, Alinity made a public apology on Twitter on July 19, but many members of the Twitch community, and beyond, were unforgiving, and argued that she deserves a ban from the platform. While Pokimane is rarely a controversial figure, it seems Alinity cannot keep out of viewers’ bad books, as she once again stirs up controversy with her on-stream actions.

Pokimane shocks Sykkuno with bizarre request while streaming – Dexerto
Pokimane shocks Sykkuno with bizarre request while streaming Sykkuno/PokimaneTwitch star Sykkuno was streaming with Pokimane when she said she was tired and offered him a strange request to keep her awake that left him in shock. Streamer collective OTV hosted a Valorant tournament on December 18 featuring big streamers like Poki, Boxbox, and Fuslie. Sykkuno and Pokimane were live before the event kicked off when she revealed how tired she was, and made a strange request of her fellow streamer. Pokimane makes wild request of Sykkuno The duo were chatting before the tournament kicked off when Poki revealed she’d hit her “sleepy nap time” and was extremely tired. Poki said, “I just feel like I need someone to slap me so I wake up.” Sykkuno was stunned and replied, “You want me to slap you?!” She asked Sykkuno if he actually would if she wanted him to which he responded: “I feel like if I answer this… Maybe lightly, you know?” Pokimane explained, “Okay, but here’s the thing, if you’re gonna agree to slap me you might as well go hard or go home. I’m tryna wake up, not be patted on the face.” Sykkuno was still stunned at how out of left-field the request was and wondered if she would get injured in the process of trying to wake up up before the Valorant matches began. She finished the clip by making her final request: “You know what? Backhand.”

Pokimane shocked by streaming couple who “summoned” her with a seance – Dexerto
Pokimane shocked by streaming couple who “summoned” her with a seance Streaming star Imane “Pokimane” Anys got more than she bargained for after challenging fellow broadcasters to a timed Postmates eating challenge in exchange for gifted subscriptions. While Pokimane is known for her hilarious interactions with fans and fellow streamers, she took these moments to the next level with a Mr Beast-esque challenge that involved not oodles of money, but food. In the style of YouTube’s biggest philanthropist, Pokimane ordered food to both friends and random streamers, giving them a time limit in which to consume the grub exchange for 100 gifted subs. However, in the midst of her challenge, she ran into a couple who were streaming together, and offered to buy them a “romantic dinner for two” as part of the challenge. She then hopped around to other broadcasts, such as those of Mizkif and Fuslie, to check in on their challenges before going back to the couple — who had written Pokimane’s name on their foreheads as a means to “summon” her back to their channel. Needless to say, Pokimane was fairly flummoxed by this turn of events, asking, “Why do you guys have my name on your 4head?” “We’re just vibing,” they replied — but that wasn’t the end of their antics, by far. Pokimane quickly found out that they had even tried to summon her with a fake “seance” before her return, where the chanted over a candle with the lights off in a humorous interpretation of an occult ceremony. To further add to the comedy, Pokimane gave them a follow during the “ritual,” prompting an excited “It worked!” from the couple. Rather than challenging the duo to her Postmates challenge, she merely stuck around until their food was successfully delivered, going on to speak with another small streamer who literally cried tears of joy thanks to Pokimane’s generous donation of grub. Mizkif and Fuslie, however, struggled through their individual challenges, with the male streamer successfully eating an entire order of spicy wings while Fuslie couldn’t get through her medium-sized pizza in time. Thanks to Pokimane, two small streamers got a big shout out — and a ton of free food.

Pokimane shocked by 10-year-old Fortnite player’s love life – Dexerto
Pokimane shocked by 10-year-old Fortnite player’s love life Imane “Pokimane” Anys is a popular face in the Fortnite community, boasting over 4 million subscribers on YouTube where she uploads videos of herself playing the game with young fans – one of whom shocked her with his tumultuous love life. While it may not seem like it, kids can have quite a lot of drama going on in their personal lives, as Pokimane found out during a Duos game with a 10-year-old player named “Ben.” During this game, Ben admitted that he had a girlfriend, who he’d planned on inviting to their conversation – but there is more to their “relationship” than meets the eye. According to Ben, he’d met his girlfriend online through Fortnite when he was nine – but there happened to be another player by the same name in their game, who she decided to date instead. Pokimane remained attentive throughout his spiel, shockingly exclaiming “She dated the other Ben!” in response to the childhood drama. That’s not all – Ben went on to reveal that the “other” Ben hadn’t been online for five months since that initial game, prompting him to ask his current girlfriend out on a “date,” which took her two weeks to accept. “And then I just asked her out on a date, and then it took her like, two weeks to answer it,” Ben humorously explained. “And then she said yes. And then… that’s how it’s done.” “That’s how it’s done!” Pokimane guffawed. “That really is how it’s done! Mhm! The better Ben swoops in.” That wasn’t the end of his hilarious tale, either: Ben went on to claim that his first girlfriend had “cheated” on him, who he dubbed the “meanest girlfriend I’ve ever had.” “First of all, she cheated on me,” he began. “Second of all, he cusses a lot. And then third of all… my bestest friend was dating her, so she was like, cheating on me with him.” While not all of Pokimane’s encounters with young fans have been this wholesome, Ben’s “Days of Our Lives” rendition certainly warranted some laughs, especially considering the star streamer’s reactions to his tale.

Pokimane shocked by random Fortnite teammate’s emotional life story – Dexerto
Pokimane shocked by random Fortnite teammate’s emotional life story Pokimane, YouTubeImane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s biggest streaming stars, known for her videos teaming up with random players in Fortnite — but one of these usually humorous encounters took a concerning turn in mid-March. Pokimane generally teams up with random users in Fortnite’s Duo Fill, who are often floored that they’re playing with such a popular online personality. However, Anys switched things up a bit during a March broadcast, instead opting to create a new account using a different name so that fellow players wouldn’t know they were throwing down with a famous Twitch streamer. Although many of her encounters using her new moniker, “I am Chad,” resulted in hilarious conversations, one of her interactions with a young player ended in a concerning and somewhat saddening tale. Pokimane was in the middle of her undercover experiment when she encountered a 15-year-old player named “Sam,” who she quizzed about what he wanted to be when he grows up. Sam admitted that he wanted to be a psychologist — but his reasonings for the profession were far from the usual. “I’ve been having bad problems with depression and anxiety since my parents got divorced,” he admitted. “So I’ve been having to switch schools. It’s just horrible.” “That’s a lot to go through at once,” Anys sympathized. “Even just switching schools is a lot of pressure.” That’s not all: the young player revealed that his mother had mistreated him and his family by threatening to leave them to return to her home in South Africa. “I don’t like playing with people’s feelings, because I know it sucks,” he said after Poki joked about him having a girlfriend. “My mom was kinda like that. She was horrible. She’s from South Africa. Before my parents got divorced, she always threatened to go back and leave us.” “Oh my god, I’m so sorry to hear that,” the streamer replied. “It’s alright,” Sam continued. “I’m used to it.” (Topic begins at 9:36 for mobile readers) Pokimane ended their session by revealing who she really was, and complimented the youngster for being so polite, giving an uplifting end to a heartbreaking story.

Pokimane shocked after store worker fumbles her last name in the worst way – Dexerto
Pokimane shocked after store worker fumbles her last name in the worst way Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane shared a hilarious story with her viewers about the time a store clerk fumbled her last name in the worst way possible, making for an awkward interaction. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most-followed streamers on Twitch, on top of being the site’s most-followed female broadcaster, overall. As such, she’s had quite a few eventful interactions with fans — some of which ended in awkward moments, like the time a viewer asked her out at TwitchCon 2019. However, one of the most awkward moments in her career as a top-tier streamer didn’t happen at a convention or in a video game voice chat with a random teammate. Instead, it took place in a store when she was checking out at the front counter. To preface, it’s important to know how Pokimane’s name is pronounced. Her first name, Imane, is pronounced like the end of the word ‘Pokemon,’ hence her Twitch handle. Her last name, Anys, is pronounced like ‘Ah-Nis’ — but a sales associate at the store she was shopping in had a totally different idea of how it sounded. Pokimane mortified after store clerk pronounces her name horribly wrong According to Pokimane, the clerk asked for her last name in order to complete her purchase. After spelling it out for him, the clerk apparently looked at her with a deadpan expression and said something totally out of left field. “He looks me dead in the eye and he goes, ‘Anus,’” the streamer said. “And when I tell you my jaw dropped. I was in shock. It was like he didn’t even try to pronounce it properly or decently whatsoever.” “Also, he had the most blank look on his face. ‘Anus.’ Like, he was telling me that that’s my last name. …I can’t even! Also, because it’s a private part of your body. You never hear that word out loud. I don’t think it was a joke. I really don’t!” “I turned to him [and went], ‘Ha ha, Anys.’ He’s not laughing. He just looks down and types.” While this might be one of the most awkward moments the streamer has experienced thus far, she was able to take the situation in stride — although she’s not totally convinced she wasn’t being pranked.

Pokimane shocked as random duo’s girlfriend forces them to stop playing – Dexerto
Pokimane shocked as random duo’s girlfriend forces them to stop playing Twitch: PokimanePokimane had one of her random duo games in Fortnite cut short after the guy that she was playing with seemingly came under attack from his partner. Getting to play alongside someone you watch on Twitch can be quite a rare occurrence. Of course, there are stream snipers, but the chance for random teams or viewer games – especially with Pokimane – don’t come around all that often. Yet, during her January 18 stream, the popular broadcaster had been diving into games of Fortnite after announcing that she now had her own in-game emote. As such, she ran into viewers who were delighted to play with her. But, one guy’s girlfriend took exception and was seemingly furious. “Is your girlfriend actually mad or joking mad?” Poki asked, before being told that she was actually mad at the guy who she was playing with. Her random duo then seemingly came under attack from his partner as noises could be heard in the background. “Really love?” he said, leaving Poki to look on wide-eyed and concerned as shouts of “ow” came over the mic. “Physical abuse in the home!” the streamer called out before the random partner had to duck out and leave the game. After leaving the game and taking a few minutes to figure out what had just happened, Pokimane claimed that something like that had “never happened” to her before. “Like, a girlfriend actually just getting mad at a guy for playing with me? Like obviously, I was not flirting or anything,” she said. “I’m sorry, but that’s not cool. Guys can play with girls and girls can play with guys in relationships or not as long as they’re just being nice. I hope they move past that sort of thing, you know. And when I heard the ouches, that’s not cool – I hope she wasn’t like hitting him or something. That’s not cool.” Instead of jumping right into another game, though, the streamer shared her experiences of a similar relationship from high school. “The first guy that I really had a thing with, he used to get so mad at me for playing games a lot – but just because I was really into the game,” Poki said. “I’ve experienced that and I’ve experienced guys being mad at me for playing with other guys that are just my friends. And then I grew up and I learned that so many people realize that’s not a big deal at all,” the streamer added, noting that relationships are built on trust and its fine to play with others as long as there isn’t any flirting involved. Despite what had just unfolded, and her brief stint as a relationship counselor, Poki continued on with her random games and ran into even more fans in Fortnite. What the future holds for the guy who couldn’t play with her, though, remains to be seen. Hopefully, he provides an update later down the line.

Pokimane shares perfect response to #pokimaneboyfriend trending – Dexerto
Pokimane shares perfect response to #pokimaneboyfriend trending Pokimane, Twitch / Pixabay[jwplayer 3rV0GuQ7]Twitch streaming star and internet personality Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has reacted to the current buzz around the #pokimanesboyfriend hashtag on Twitter — and her response is nothing less than pure gold. While the subject of Pokimane’s love life has always been a subject of interest for fans (with many pairing her with other streamers like Hasan), things kicked up a notch after YouTuber ‘LeafyisHere’ published a video criticizing her content — as well as claiming she has been hiding her boyfriend from fans. “If you ever happen to come across one of her big time fans on your way to the grocery store or whatnot …be sure to remind them that she has a boyfriend, because I think that they would really love to hear that little piece of information,” Leafy said. Soon after, the hashtag #pokimaneboyfriend began trending across Twitter, with many fans speculating as to who the mysterious man could be — if there even was one. However, Pokimane herself joined in on the shenanigans in a post of her own — and it’s safe to say that she’s not taking the issue all too seriously. In response to the hubbub surrounding her romantic life, the streamer uploaded a photo of herself standing next to a cardboard cutout of former U.S. president Barack Obama. it’s time to come clean.. #pokimaneboyfriend pic.twitter.com/x8q0BGWc07 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) July 30, 2020 “It’s time to come clean,” she captioned the hilarious pic, clearly unbothered by the rampant outrage and rumors concerning her private affairs. Pokimane herself has been quite open about how she would treat her love life if she did get into a serious relationship, claiming that she wouldn’t put her romance online. “I don’t know if I would like, really want to put my relationship out there one I get into one,” she stated in a June 2019 Q & A video. “For example, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of couples out there who make their relationship public. …when they break up, they have to make that public, too. I don’t know if I wanna go through that, know what I’m saying?” No matter the case, it doesn’t look like this streamer is going to break under critics’ watchful gaze — and she’s certainly not going to peep about her private life to strangers online.

Pokimane shares hilarious voice message from Valkyrae after “weird” stranger encounter – Dexerto
Pokimane shares hilarious voice message from Valkyrae after “weird” stranger encounter Twitch: Pokimane / YouTube: ValkyraePopular streamer Valkyrae had some strong words of advice for Pokimane after the Twitch star shared a disturbing account of how she was harassed by a stranger while alone at night. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch, boasting over 8 million fans on the streaming platform. While she often updates fans about her day on social media, the streamer gave viewers quite a shock after claiming she’d been harassed by a man while walking alone at night in Los Angeles. Pokimane stated that she’d been walking through a parking lot when a man shouted some suggestive comments at her from across the way — including the quip, “I wanna see what’s under that skirt.” Anys discussed the disturbing event again during her Twitch stream the next day, claiming she was “baffled” by the “omega cringe” ordeal. “It feels really bad and really weird to have that happen in person,” she said of the situation. “…this kind of stuff is not funny. It’s not okay. I don’t know these people.” Pokimane then lightened the mood somewhat by sharing a humorous voice message from fellow streamer Valkyrae, who’d sent a memo after seeing Poki’s Instagram stories posts. Valkyrae reacts after Pokimane shares story of being harassed by stranger “I just saw your Insta story, and I just wanna say, if you ever walk alone at night ever again, I am going to f**king murder you!” Valkyrae shouted. “You are not allowed to be outside by yourself in the dark in LA ever again! Ever, Imane! I’m so glad you’re safe, but what the f**k?” Anys couldn’t contain her laughter after playing the message for her viewers. “I was like bro, I was alone for like, I s**t you not, two minutes!” Pokimane replied. (Topic begins at 8:14) Luckily, Anys made it home safe and sound – but she shared the incident as a way to “spread some awareness that this happens a lot, please be kind and stay safe, and look out for your friends.”

Pokimane shares disgusting messages from fans following Roe v. Wade court ruling – Dexerto
Pokimane shares disgusting messages from fans following Roe v. Wade court ruling After expressing her opinion on the Supreme Court of the United States overturning Roe v. Wade, streamer Pokimane shared disgusting messages she received in response to her stance. On June 25, SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade removing the Federal government’s protection of abortion laws. This means that each of the 50 United States has the right to ban abortions, with several states already doing so. Several Twitch streamers took to Twitter to express their opinions on the ruling. Pokimane, one of the largest streamers on Twitch, was vehemently against Roe v. Wade being overturned. The Canadian streamer currently resides in California and stated she had booked a ticket to return to her home country following the “depressing” news. Later that evening, she would share disgusting messages sent to her by someone wanting to impregnate her. Pokimane disgusted by graphic messages Pokimane posted a screenshot of text messages she received to her second Twitter account Imane. She obscured the name of the sender but left the contents of the messages legible. The messages read “You’re so hot on Twitch. Ready to impregnate you Poki. Now that abortions have been removed be careful because I will knock on your door.” A YouTuber by the of NintendoFanGirl commented in support of Poki and later shared her own horrifying encounter with the same messager. She stated, “Not even 20 minutes after commenting on this, the same lose is in my inbox…” She shared a screenshot of the messages sent to her. The anonymous messager degraded her appearance, insulted her intelligence, and described explicit actions they perform. Lmao not even 20 minutes after commenting on this, the same loser is in my inbox and trying to FaceTime me pic.twitter.com/AcCIPwjC9n — NintendoFanGirl 🎮 (@NintendoFanGirl) June 25, 2022 NintendoFanGirl revealed the messages were from an email, and she hid them to protect innocent people involved. “In cases like this they often end up being either stolen or filled with someone else’s info leading to doxxing an innocent person,” she stated. Pokimane hasn’t made any other comments regarding the situation, but we will be sure to update this story is any more information becomes available.

Pokimane shares her top 5 tips for small streamers – Dexerto
Pokimane shares her top 5 tips for small streamers YouTube: PokimaneBoasting an audience of over four million followers, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s top broadcasters and has shared five important tips for those looking to reach similar success in a space where everyone’s competing for views. It’s no secret that being a full-time streamer is a highly coveted occupation, with users across the net taking to sites like Twitch, YouTube, Mixer and more to kickstart their own broadcasting careers. Despite its popularity, streaming isn’t all sunshine and roses, with many smaller personalities struggling to gain the viewership of huge names like Ninja, shroud and Dr Disrespect. As one of the net’s biggest names to date, Pokimane has decided to share her own tips on finding success in a highly competitive environment — and some of them might surprise up-and-comers. Tip #1 – Interactivity is key For her first tip, Pokimane advised new streamers to make their audience a priority. By chatting with viewers, they add value to their streams, allowing for some back-and-forth banter that makes fans want to sit in. This also includes giving entertaining commentary over their current activities if there aren’t many commenters making noise in the chat. “Just like live radio, as the saying goes, you don’t want any dead air,” she suggested. “Honestly, you don’t even want ten seconds to go by without you actively saying or showing something to the people that are watching.” Tip #2 – Growing on Twitch for reasons outside of Twitch Her second tip placed an emphasis on using one’s outlets to their advantage. By plugging their stream to their social media accounts or appropriate subreddits, broadcasters might be able to expand their stream by utilizing a site where they already have a substantial following. If one doesn’t have a huge social media presence, Pokimane suggested growing their following by suggesting their stream in an already relevant space, such as plugging a knitting stream in a knitting subreddit, for example. Tip #3 – The Door Metaphor Pokimane’s humorous third tip compares streams to doors. Just like a door, streamers’ broadcasts need to be alluring enough for viewers to want to open them up — while also having enough compelling content for audiences to remain engaged and interested over time. “Think of your channel as a door,” she began. “There’s thousands of other doors out there, just like there’s thousands of other streamers and other channels out there… in the same way you open a door, you click on a stream and go see what’s inside.” Tip #4 – Figure out your branding Although Anys admitted that, in the old days of Twitch, being a female streamer was enough to set one apart from the crowd and create a form of branding on its own, simply existing as a girl isn’t going to cut it, anymore. Instead, Pokimane urged streamers to stand out from their counterparts, asking that they find a niche to fill that would make them a unique face in a sea of people trying to accomplish the same thing. Tip #5 – WYWYS? For her final tip, Pokimane asked streamers — Would You Watch Your Stream? This simple acronym presents a compelling question that forces broadcasters to consider their content in full. After all, if you wouldn’t watch your own stream, why should anyone else? “Try to answer these questions,” she advised. “Figure out why or why not, and figure out what you can specifically do to be better.” You can watch Pokimane’s full video on the topic below: Pokimane’s advice comes from six years of experience, during which she became one of the most popular broadcasters on the net. Whether you love her or hate her, there’s no denying that her top five streaming tips contain grains of wisdom and truth. What do you think of Pokimane’s advice? Is there anything you’d like to add to her tips?

Pokimane shares big health update after condition interrupts streaming schedule – Dexerto
Pokimane shares big health update after condition interrupts streaming schedule YouTube: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane has given fans another update on her chronic health condition, claiming that her tinnitus has thrown an unexpected wrench in her current streaming schedule. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and one of the platform’s most-followed female broadcasters, overall. However, she has stepped away from being a full-time streamer to focus on other aspects of her life, such as traveling, health and wellness, and making other content like vlogs and TikToks. It was during her initial break from streaming when she revealed to fans that she suffers from tinnitus, a condition that affects hearing. Generally, tinnitus causes a ‘ringing’ sound in the ears and can have adverse effects on those who suffer from it, including anxiety, depression, and sleep issues. Pokimane updates fans as tinnitus causes rift in streaming schedule Although Poki has been busy traveling and celebrating her birthday, she had plans to stream on Thursday and Friday, May 25 & 26, respectively — but unfortunately, her tinnitus threw a wrench into these plans. On Friday, Imane updated fans about her streaming schedule, saying that her hearing condition prevented her from going forward with a broadcast. She also gave encouragement to any fans who are also dealing with chronic health issues, urging them to take care of themselves first. “Sorry, I wanted to stream today but my tinnitus is acting the f*ck up,” she wrote in a tweet. “Gotta go figure out why. For anyone dealing with a chronic condition, I feel you and encourage you to take care of yourself first, no matter how much it sucks to miss out on other things.” This latest health update from Poki follows her initial explanation of her diagnosis in Fall 2022. At first, the streamer said she began experiencing ringing in her ears, which doctors thought might have been an infection. After medication failed to work and even “made life a living hell” for the streamer, she went to a TMJ specialist, who gave her some “fake teeth” to help realign her bite and speculated that the ringing in her ears may have been from inflammation on the right side of her jaw. Based on Poki’s most recent update, though, it looks like she’s dealing with tinnitus. Fans and fellow creators are showing her an outpouring of support as she works with health care professionals to seek treatment. For more news on Pokimane, check out our page right here on Dexerto.

Pokimane shares crazy story about confronting brother’s childhood bully – Dexerto
Pokimane shares crazy story about confronting brother’s childhood bully YouTube: OfflineTV Podcast / UnsplashTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys retold a hilarious story from her childhood on episode six of the OfflineTV podcast, and explained why she cornered her brother’s bully. If you were ever bullied as a child, you’ll understand how horrible it feels to be the victim of another person’s harassment, and how lonely it can be when dealing with it. Luckily for Pokimane’s brother, he had his sister in his corner to help him confront his aggressor, as told in a comical tale during the February 2 upload of the OfflineTV podcast. Pokimane confronts bully During a portion of the episode where the cast were talking about growing up with brothers and sisters, the 23-year-old remembered something from her own childhood. “One of my earliest memories with my brother was when we were in Morocco,” she began. “I was in Morocco until I was four, and I don’t know why but I was angel until one years old, devil until four, and then angel when I moved to Canada, don’t know why.” “During that time, we were like in an apartment or something, and my brother came home crying, and we’re like “what happened?!” and like, apparently some kid hit him downstairs in the play area!” she continued. The Twitch personality then hilarious revealed how little four-year-old Pokimane went and squared up to the bully. “So me being like f**king four, I don’t know, I walked downstairs, I go up to this dude, I tap him on the shoulder and I’m like “Did you hit my brother?!” and he goes “Yeah!” and I just smacked him!” she laughed. (Timestamp 38:12 for mobile viewers.) Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan exclaimed “Hooooly s**t!” upon hearing the tale while the rest of the OfflineTV crew erupted into roars of laughter. “I just frickin’ yeeted him!” the Moroccan-Canadian giggled as she motioned a slap with her arm. “Didn’t something similar also happen with a girl? Didn’t you hit a girl as well?” Fed asked. “Listen, yeah, okay, in grade nine, but she kept hitting me!” she replied. “It was in class, it was so weird!” “I was like stop it, and she didn’t stop, and I was like BOOM!” she continued, as she made another arm motion to replicate the punch. “Did she stop after that?” Lily ‘LilyPichu’ Ki asked. “Ohhh, yeah!” Poki responded. “That’s what I’m saying!” While Pokimane claims she was a devilish child up until the age of four, she grew up to become a popular face on Twitch and becoming the most successful female on the platform. At the time of writing, she boasts over 3.8 million followers on the Amazon-owned service, as well as millions across her Twitter, Instagram, and other social media accounts.

Pokimane shaken up after “uncomfortable” experience with flirty Uber driver – Dexerto
Pokimane shaken up after “uncomfortable” experience with flirty Uber driver YouTube: Pokimane Too / Unsplash.com – Humphrey MulebaTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys went live on March 16 to describe an “uncomfortable” experience she went through during an Uber ride the day prior, after her driver got a bit too flirty while flying down the highway. Anys first described the incident in a series of tweets on March 15, live-posting the hairy situation from her ride. In her tweets, the streamer claimed that her driver wouldn’t stop asking for her phone number, and even “refused to take no for an answer” — all while “zooming through the highway and 20 mins from [her] destination.” “I’ve never had someone ask for my number,” she said of the incident. “I say no thanks, and they… literally don’t stop asking or pressuring me…. I — I?? I’m paying for your service on top of that, sir.” i’ve never had someone ask for my number, i say no thanks, and they.. literally don’t stop asking or pressuring me…. i-i?? i’m paying for your service on top of that sir 🥲 — imane 💜 (@imane) March 16, 2021 Pokimane also claimed that the driver said she could remove her mask while in the car with him — a sure sign that pointed to what she called a “wack trip.” She went live sometime later to describe the drive in more detail, claiming that it was the most “uncomfortable” encounter she’s had. “I have never been in a situation that uncomfortable,” Pokimane said. “Like, will an Uber driver hit on you, or kind of push the boundary a bit? Sure, maybe sometimes. But for them to have the gall — the absolute audacity — to ask for your number as you’re paying them for your service, and when you say no, keep pushing?” “I didn’t know what to do, because I had just never been in that situation. In particular, because their driving — we’re literally zooming through the highway right now, and you’re pressuring me to give you my number. There’s just something a little bit frightening about that.” Luckily, the streamer returned home safely — although she did admit to giving him a one-star rating. However, did not report him, as some fans had called for, stating that she was afraid he would know it was her while also citing concerns that he already knows where she lives. Thus far, fans have shown ample support for Pokimane, with many sharing their own concerning interactions with Uber and Lyft drivers.

Pokimane shares adorable explanation for what ‘uwu’ is – Dexerto
Pokimane shares adorable explanation for what ‘uwu’ is The term ‘uwu’ has become popular across the internet in the past few months, and Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys had the most adorable explanation for what it actually means. ‘uwu’ is a popular emote within the anime community, with many using it to express emotion instead of using an emoji. Its usage blew up across the internet in recent months, and quickly became a meme. Despite its popularity booming, some people still don’t know what it means, and Pokimane decided to explain in the most adorable way after she used it in her recent Instagram story. What is ‘uwu’? Pokimane posted an Instagram story captioned ‘itz me uwu’, in which she zoomed in on a digital drawing of herself, saying “it’s meeeee!” excitedly. Her next story showed a picture of her with a group of friends, captioned ‘so much uwu in one pic. uwuwuwuwuwuwu.’ This apparently confused some fans as to what the term means, so the Twitch star decided to explain in yet another story. “I feel like there’s gonna some people who don’t know what ‘uwu’ is, and I like to be inclusive of all people so I’m gonna explain,” she began. (Mobile viewers, click here to watch the following clip on Streamja.) She then went on to explain, saying, “so ‘uwu’ is just a little face, kinda like ‘u.u’ or ‘o.o’. The U’s are the eyes, and the W’s the mouth, and it signifies being happy.” The female streamer then ended with the most adorable smile, which is even cuter when you remember she used the emote to caption the photo of her with her friends. Too wholesome. (Mobile viewers, click here to watch the following clip on Streamja.) It’s not Pokimane’s only cute moment The streaming star had another adorably wholesome moment recently, this time during a Twitch broadcast of popular game Teamfight Tactics. The game is similar to that of DoTA’s Auto Chess, and has been a huge hit since its debut earlier this month. During her first ever stream of the game, Pokimane scored victorious and shared the most incredible reaction with her viewers. “Yes!” she screamed excitedly. “I’m winning! Oh my god! I’m sorry! All me,” she exclaimed, pointing to herself. (Mobile viewers, click here to watch the following clip on Streamja.) Teamfight Tactics isn’t the easiest game in the world to learn, especially if you’ve never played League of Legends before, which is exactly why her reaction is so great. Never change, Poki.

Pokimane shades Greekgodx over his controversial takes on women – Dexerto
Pokimane shades Greekgodx over his controversial takes on women Twitch: Pokimane/ GreekgodxTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys took a swipe at her fellow streamer Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos over his “misogynistic” comments which sparked outrage on the internet. Greekgodx burst back onto the scene after his controversial comments preceding his Twitch suspension were slammed by the internet. He has since been getting into fiery debates with his fellow Twitch creators across the streaming community. This includes an argument over the ‘flat-Earth’ theory with Asmongold and an 90 minute long argument with xQc over his streaming lifestyle. Pokimane made her feelings over Greek’s sexist comments perfectly clear during her livestream on July 12 when a game character’s dialogue seemed all too familiar. Pokimane compares game character to Greekgodx Pokimane was finishing ‘Life Is Strange’ alongside her viewers when she noted that Dr Jefferson’s dialogue reminded her of Greek’s previous controversial comments about a future female partner. In one scene during Episode 5 of the game, Jefferson says to Max: “I like my models to be seen and not heard.” Pokimane quickly paused the game and asked her viewers: “Why does that sound like something Greek would say about women?” It comes after Greek previously said on his Twitch channel that he wants a wife who stays “in the kitchen,” cooking, cleaning, and looking after the children, while he streamed and “made the money.” This isn’t the first time that Pokimane has hit out at Greek. She previously criticized the controversial figure over his “perspective” during his explosive argument with xQc. Greek’s Twitch streams now are few and far between. However, given how the community is still rocked by his previous comments, he doesn’t need to start the stream to have people talking about him.

Pokimane shades Ninja and Jessica Blevins after Jidion meetup – Dexerto
Pokimane shades Ninja and Jessica Blevins after Jidion meetup During Pokimane’s inaugural stream after announcing she re-signed with Twitch, the streamer shed some light on the Jidion, Ninja, and Jessica Blevins drama. Earlier this year, Pokimane ended her stream early after fellow streamer Jidion sent a hate raid to her channel. Twitch permanently banned Jidion from the platform after he received waves of criticism from viewers and streamers. However, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins inserted himself into the situation after promising Jidion he would “see what he could do.” Pokimane called out Ninja and shared various screenshots of conversations where Blevins said she was “making a big mistake” and that defamation lawsuits were being considered. Ninja stated “all will be explained” before a long period of radio silence on the topic. But since then, Pokimane and Jidion have put their differences aside and even teamed up for a vlog. Pokimane shades Ninja and Jessica Blevins After Pokimane announced she would be staying on Twitch, she shared some more information on the Jidion/Ninja drama. She stated that she really enjoyed her time with Jidion and that she would be up for hanging out again. Read More: Jessica Blevins reveals she’s stepping down as Ninja’s manager after Pokimane legal threat – She went on to state, “The funniest thing about all of this, is that [Jidion] was faster to apologize to me than Ninja and Jessica Blevins.” Pokimane thinks it’s unbelievable that Jidion was more willing to squash the beef than either of the Blevins. Pokimane also states that all Ninja had to do was apologize and everything would have been cool, but instead, they chose to threaten legal action. She also states that she sent them the VOD of Ninja’s action as well as her lawyer’s contact information. While the incident between Pokimane and Ninja took place a little less than a month ago, Tyler and Jessica haven’t addressed it since. While they could be preparing a lawsuit, there’s no indication that the Blevins will sue or apologize. For more Pokimane, here’s why fellow streamer Valkyrae thinks meeting up with Jidion was the smartest decision.

Pokimane sent into hysterics as Greekgodx attempts her Fortnite dance – Dexerto
Pokimane sent into hysterics as Greekgodx attempts her Fortnite dance Twitch: Pokimane / GreekgodxTwitch megastar Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys broke down with laughter after Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos went on stream to perform her recently released Fortnite dance emote. Pokimane became the second streamer to be represented in Fortnite after Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins when the battle royale added one of her popular dance routines to the game on January 19. To celebrate, the Twitch star played the shooter to show off her new emote, but was left in hysterics when her friend and fellow streamer Greekgodx went on camera and performed it. Greekgodx performs ‘Poki’ Fortnite emote Pokimane was celebrating the release of her new emote when she was joined by Greekgodx who agreed to do the dance, after she had seen Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker perform it on his broadcast earlier. The popular streamer went through all of the steps of her dance with the British personality, who spent some time to learn the moves before making his attempt on camera. “Dude isn’t it cute, because it’s like guns from Fortnite but then it’s like peace sign?” she said, explaining the final pose, which he hilariously shrugged off with “yeah sure, okay.” Greek then performed the dance emote in its entirety in front of the Twitch star, and actually came close to hitting all the moves as she moved along in sync. Approving of his attempt at the Tik-Tok inspired routine, Pokimane clapped and exclaimed “Yeah! Good job!’ to which the British streamer replied with, “Ah, I f**king hate my life, dude.” His lack of enthusiasm caused her to burst into laughter. “You did good, you did good, I’m so proud!” she said, as he continued to look ashamed of his dance. While Greekgodx didn’t seem too thrilled to be throwing up the peace signs, perhaps he has a future in dancing, after all his moves were actually pretty good. Pokimane continues to be the most popular female streamer on Twitch, amassing over 3.8 million followers to her channel, and with her recent addition to Fortnite, it only further solidifies her as one of the top entertainers on the platform.

Pokimane shades Alinity after receiving spam donation message – Dexerto
Pokimane shades Alinity after receiving spam donation message Twitch: Pokimane / Instagram: AlinityDivineTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys used a troll donation message as an opportunity to throw shade at fellow streamer ‘Alinity Divine’ during her July 21 broadcast. After Alinity’s cat fiasco spilled out across social media, many influencers and streamers were left shocked and furious and called for Twitch to ban her from the platform. Fellow internet sensation Pokimane was not happy with the female streamer’s treatment of her pet, and has now shaded her even further by using a troll donation message. Pokimane threw shade at Alinity During Pokimane’s July 21 stream, a fan used their donation to joke about Alinity’s cat drama and the controversy surrounding it. The message said: “Oh my fucking god, Pokimane. If you don’t move your fucking cat, I might snap. Oh my god, move the cat, or else I will pick her up and throw her.” Pokimane didn’t know what the message was related to at first until the throwing part was mentioned when it became clear it was mocking the Alinity incident. Without hesitation, the Twitch streamer used the opportunity to throw shade and joked: “Alinity, please stop donating to me. Like, you know that you can just message me on Twitter or something.” xQc was also trolled by a similar message It seems that many people are starting to use the Alinity situation for humor, as xQc’s recent July 20 stream was also interrupted by a troll donation. “I had a run in with Alinity today when I was walking my cat. She tried to give it vodka, and my cat stood strong and refused.” the message began. “She tried to pick up my cat and throw it behind her back, my cat stood strong and refused. Alinity, in defeat, walked away in agony.” The Canadian streamer wasn’t as taken with the joke as Pokimane was, and it didn’t get much of a reaction from him. It remains to be seen if Alinity will be facing any sort of punishment from Twitch for her actions.

Pokimane scared out of her mind by surprise guest during horror stream – Dexerto
Pokimane scared out of her mind by surprise guest during horror stream Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikPopular Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys is known for her humorous interactions with fans and the hilarious moments that crop up during her broadcasts – one of which took place during a fear-inducing horror game. Anys went live on August 12 with a unique set up: rather than simply playing a horror game, she attached a heart monitor to herself to further amp up the action, allowing fans to get a glimpse of just how scared she really was. However, the scariest part of her stream didn’t come about because of an in-game event: rather, an outside distraction ended up frightening the streamer out of her wits. 600Anys was in the middle of a stressful part in her game when fellow Twitch streamer Albert “sleightlymusical” Chang entered her room, moving behind her chair to sit down on her bed in view of the camera. Chang’s sudden appearance thoroughly terrified Anys, who screamed in shock after noticing that he’d sat down beside her. “What the fuck?” Anys screamed. “Why would you do – what the hell, man? I don’t even think you meant to do that!” “No, I was just going to say hi!” he confirmed, to which Anys responded with a sarcastic, “Hello!” This wouldn’t be the first time Anys has been scared out of her mind during past broadcasts, by far: the streamer likewise fell victim to an unexpected jumpscare during a playthrough of classic horror title “Outlast” on July 28. After turning on a backup generator, Anys turned around when an enemy popped up behind her, resulting in a hilarious moment that saw the streamer nearly jump out of her chair. However, it’s not always horror games that make Anys jumpy: the streamer got spooked by one of Twitch’s classic “knocking” pranks in late March, which plays a realistic series of knocks in both headphones after being triggered by a donation. “Stop!” Pokimane shouted, likely thinking that someone was actually waiting at her bedroom door. “I hate that! I’m sensitive right now! I hate you!” Thanks to Pokimane adding the horror genre to her usual repertoire of games, her three million followers can likely expect even more hilarity from her streams in the future.

Pokimane scarred for life after looking at Belle Delphine’s NSFW Twitter – Dexerto
Pokimane scarred for life after looking at Belle Delphine’s NSFW Twitter Twitch: Pokimane / Instagram: BelleDelphinePopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys got the shock of her life after venturing onto Belle Delphine‘s rather NSFW Twitter page. Belle Delphine has become somewhat of an internet spectacle recently after she decided to entice her male fans by selling jars of her bathwater to the masses. Some people don’t approve of her risque online persona though, and reported her Instagram for “nudity and pornographic content” – resulting in her account being banned from the platform. Popular Twitch star Pokimane decided to visit the starlet’s Twitter page after her Instagram ban, and got the shock of her life when some rather NSFW content popped up. The gift that keeps on giving During her July 19 stream, Pokimane got onto the topic of Belle’s ban and decided to pay a visit to her Instagram page to see if it was back up. “RIP,” she stated upon finding it was still down. “I think she has a Twitter now though, right?” Upon innocently venturing to her page, the female streamer was stunned out of her skin after the bathwater boss’ NSFW header image suddenly popped up on screen, displaying a risque photograph of her hand down her underwear. “AHHHH!” Pokimane screamed as she scrambled to click off the profile, regretting her decision. “This is such a bad idea. I’m so sorry!” It’s hard to say what she expected to find when she clicked onto Belle Delphine’s profile, but her reaction was hilarious to say the least. She won’t be doing that again in a hurry, that’s for sure. It’s not the first time Pokimane has talked about Belle Delphine After Belle Delphine started her bathwater business and potentially made thousands of dollars of profit, we learned that she wasn’t the only internet star to receive some unsavory requests. Pokimane revealed in a tweet on July 5 that fans had been asking her to release her bathwater too – and she was less than happy about it. “please stop asking for my bath water, i take showers” she said alongside a sad face emoji, obviously annoyed at people asking her for her bathing leftovers. please stop asking for my bath water, i take showers :pensive::soap: — pokimane (@pokimanelol) July 5, 2019 While Belle Delphine might be cashing in on her success, it doesn’t look like Pokimane will be following suit any time soon.

Pokimane says woman gave her “death stare” over outfit in South Korea Twitch: JakeNBakeLive / Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane is having a blast while traveling abroad in South Korea with friends — but shared an odd experience she had while wearing a midriff-baring top. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys jetted off for South Korea last week, flying out from sunny Southern California for a fun-filled holiday abroad with friends. Thus far, Pokimane’s tweets and Instagram posts have been nothing short of exuberant; the star, who boasts over 9.2 million Twitch followers, is clearly having the time of her life in the Eastern country. However, she did experience one awkward moment when she was out and about while wearing a pair of sweats and a crop top. we landed! ✈️ gonna get situated today and likely stream tomorrow 🙂 pic.twitter.com/HxY1QMk8XH — imane 💜 (@imane) June 8, 2022 Anys described the incident to fellow streamer JakeNBake as the two live-streamed while walking around a city (a staple for the traveling broadcaster). While they walked, Anys claimed that she’d been making a convenience store run while wearing the outfit, which, according to her, showed just a few centimeters of skin from the hem of her shirt to the waistband of her pants. Pokimane claimed that an older woman nearby had given her a “death glare” and motioned to the bit of skin showing from her outfit, making her wonder if she was either offended by the skin or if she was commenting on her weight. “I’ve never in my life — especially someone who’s like, growing up a good girl — I’ve never had an older lady give me a death stare like that,” she explained. “I was like, is she saying I need to cover up this two centimeters of skin, or is she calling me fat? Or is she asking if I’m pregnant? I was like, this is my Twitch chat all over again! …it was so odd!” Luckily, it looks like Poki wasn’t too bothered by the incident and managed to spin it into a funny story — one of many stories she’ll have to tell when she returns from her travels.

Pokimane upset after Among Us dispute with xQc – Dexerto
Pokimane upset after Among Us dispute with xQc YouTube: Pokimane / Twitch: xQc[jwplayer Y7PB7YwV] Superstar streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys got frustrated while playing Among Us with fellow Twitch star Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, questioning how enjoyable his lobbies really are. Among Us is an investigation game that features two sides for players to play as – the Crewmates who do tasks and finish objectives and the Impostors who sabotage and kill the crew. With the game recently skyrocketing to popularity on Twitch, streamers have united and have started to play with each other, which has produced some hilarious content, although perhaps not for everyone involved. Pokimane is no beginner when it comes to the game as she’s played and streamed with other content creators before. But when it comes to xQc and his Among Us lobbies, she’s found them to be “not the most enjoyable” amid her annoyances with how the matches go. During a match in which she was an imposter, the group of players was discussing what they did during the first round, as is the normal procedure. However, Poki suddenly founder herself facing accusations in the last couple of seconds and wasn’t given enough time to make her plea against xQc’s accusations, immediately getting reported off, which caused her to get frustrated. “That was such a last-second Andy sh*t and of course, if it’s xQc, we must all listen.” she yelled “Literally, imagine we have three seconds to plead your case and then just boom you’re dead. Not going to lie, that makes the lobby not the most enjoyable.” It’s easy to see why Pokimane would get annoyed by that – with barely any time left on the voting countdown, it almost seems unfair that she would get eliminated without having the chance to defend herself. Much of that time was taken by xQc himself when he was taking control of the game’s chat, which is likely why she mentioned him in her post-elimination comments. But, that’s the nature of the game, which has more to do with how people manipulate the communications than the actual truth itself of what took place. So maybe Poki can start using that tactic in her own favor, although maybe not in xQc’s lobbies anytime soon.

Pokimane says “weird” CEO tried to pay off her friend for a meetup – Dexerto
Pokimane says “weird” CEO tried to pay off her friend for a meetup YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane revealed that a CEO offered her friend money in exchange for setting up a meeting with her in a “weird” encounter. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most popular woman on Twitch. Boasting over 9 million followers, she’s the most-followed female streamer on the platform and its 9th most-followed broadcaster, overall. Unfortunately, online fame comes with some major caveats. Throughout her career as a top Twitch streamer, Poki has encountered a slew of uncomfortable interactions with both fans and trolls alike, on top of being the victim of a vicious and sexist hate brigade earlier this year. The broadcaster opened up about another unpleasant experience in her life as an online entertainer during a recent broadcast alongside friend and fellow streamer AriaSaki. Pokimane reveals CEO wanted to pay a lot of money to meet with her In the stream, she claimed one of her friends was offered cash to set up a meeting between her and the CEO of a company. “You know, one of my friends told me that a guy tried to pay him to get us to meet up,” she began. “Even like, over Zoom. He was like, ‘If you won’t take cash, I’ll pay you in Bitcoin. I just want to meet her.’” AriaSaki was stunned by the story, saying, “Oh my god, that’s crazy.” “At least my friend actually told me,” Poki continued. “But it makes me wonder, what goes on behind the scenes that you never even hear of? Some dudes are crazy, and this guy was like, a CEO of a company. That’s all I’ll say. I mean, that’s how he’s got the money to do s**t like that. Weird.” This is far from the first time Poki has been propositioned by her apparent fans; during a past TwitchCon, Pokimane was asked out by a fan at a meet and greet, which she promptly shut down with a PSA: “Don’t ask people out at TwitchCon.”
