  • Pokimane launches new YouTube channel for non-gaming related content – Dexerto

Pokimane launches new YouTube channel for non-gaming related content YouTube: ImanePokimane has launched a new YouTube channel called ‘Imane’, dedicated to non-gaming related content, including topic videos, vlogs, and other interests. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys might be one of the world’s biggest streamers, but that doesn’t mean she wants to shoehorn herself exclusively into gaming-related content. Instead, she wants to branch out and try other things, including a brand new YouTube channel dedicated to non-gaming related content. Pokimane dropped the news and launched the channel on February 9. In the very first video on the channel, she explains what drove her to make the decision and what sort of content it will include. “I essentially wanted to create this channel just for it to be a place where I could share random non-gaming related things that don’t go on my main channel,” she said. “I think it’s pretty clear what the YouTube algorithm prefers, and when being a content creator is your job, admittedly, you do feel some pressure to kind of abide by certain guidelines or post content that you think will perform. “But I wanted to create a channel where I could just post for the sake of enjoying what I’m posting and sharing things that I love. I think [that] is what content creation ideally should be. So, that’s what I want this channel to be for me.” She plans on covering anything from reviews to makeup, and even what she’s watching and reading. If it interests her, she will share it with the world. “I’m really, really excited and looking forward to this little passion project of mine,” she added. It’s an exciting new endeavor for Pokimane and her fans. It won’t interfere with her usual game-related content. Instead, it will run alongside it, which means fans will get the best of both worlds. The first and only video on her channel already has more than 200,000 views, and the numbers keep on rising. She has also gathered around 75,000 subscribers in a matter of hours.

  • Pokimane laughs off PewDiePie’s hilarious roast of her Twitch streaming setup – Dexerto

Pokimane laughs off PewDiePie’s hilarious roast of her Twitch streaming setup Twitch: Pokimane / YouTube: PewDiePieImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys hilariously reacted to Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s comments about her streaming set-up, defending her monitor distance and size but admitting the cable management is bad. PewDiePie likes to comment on other content creator’s homes and set-ups from time to time. It always makes for an entertaining watch, like when he roasted Nicole ‘Neekolul’ Sanchez’s “hideous” $2m luxury apartment. In a video posted on August 20, he gave Pokimane the honor of rating her streaming set up. But while he praised some aspects, he was critical of many others, including her monitor distance, monitor size, and cable management. Poki caught wind of the video shortly after and reacted to it live on stream. At first, Poki wondered whether there actually was something weird about how far she sat from her monitor. “Are my monitors far away? How close are they supposed to be?” she said. “It’s me, my mousepad, and then my monitor. But then she defended it, saying: “If I am fully tucked in, they’re an arms-length away. I think that’s how far they should be.” Next, she reacted to his joke about her having the “tiniest little baby display” before urging her to get an ultrawide monitor. “Oh my god! You can’t play Valorant on that! I can’t even imagine a monitor that wide,” she laughed. And finally, when he roasted her poor cable management, she took it on the chin. “I know! You’re not even wrong. I have nothing to say. It’s my fault, and I did a bad thing, and I’m sorry,” she said, admitting her guilt. PewDiePie’s criticism was tongue-in-cheek and, for the most part, all in good fun. But it might be the hilarious wake-up call Poki needed to get her cables in order. He even recommended an ergonomic footrest to replace the makeshift one she’s currently using. So, in the end, his comments were helpful, and she appreciated them.

  • Pokimane laughs off Mizkif’s song about her drama with 39daph – Dexerto

Pokimane laughs off Mizkif’s song about her drama with 39daph Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys laughed off Matt ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo’s song dedicated to the drama between her and fellow content creator 39daph. Drama erupted between the pair when 39daph revealed private messages she received from the 23-year-old, claiming she had confronted her about unfollowing her on social media. Pokimane eventually responded to the accusations and appeared to squash the feud, but Mizkif wasn’t ready to let things go without a musical performance of his own, much to the enjoyment of Pokimane. In a clip taken from his stream, Mizkif broke into a rendition of Jeff Buckley’s Hallelujah, changing the lyrics to reference the drama including lines such as “I saw a ruthless businesswoman,” before claiming he was “never getting hosted” again by Pokimane. While some may have taken Mizkif’s song as an insult, the Canadian clearly enjoyed the performance, laughing her way through the musical number as girlfriend Maya tried to get him to stop. “Maya’s networking, I threw it out the window,” he sang, as his girlfriend watched on with a mixture of concern and delight. “I’ve hosted this guy so many times,” giggled Pokimane as she watched on, before complimenting him on his performance by saying he did “pretty well.” While Mizkif may have found the situation funny, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel took a more serious outlook on the situation, criticizing 39daph for leaking the private messages in a move which he described as “f**ked up.” It comes as no surprise that Pokimane didn’t take Mizkif seriously though, as he is well-known for trolling his fellow streamers with the help of his chat, who refer to the streamer as an “egg” thanks to the shape of his head. Much like the 23-year-old, 39daph enjoyed the song too, laughing as she watched it with her audience during her November 23 broadcast.

  • Pokimane keeps getting “a lot” of esport org offers, but is turning them all down – Dexerto

Pokimane keeps getting “a lot” of esport org offers, but is turning them all down Twitch: PokimanePokimane reveals she has been getting “a lot” of big-money offers for her to leave OfflineTV and sign up with esports or gaming organizations, but the Twitch star keeps turning them down for one major personal reason. Right now, streamers joining esports orgs is all the rage. 100 Thieves in particular has been scooping up content creators left and right, signing Fuslie, Kydae, and most recently TinaKitten, as first reported by Dexerto. The list of streamers on the payroll at orgs is lengthy. TSM boasts several major stars, including Myth and Doublelift. Chess sisters Alexandra and Andrea Botez signed up with Envy, and just last week, NRG unveiled their two latest signings; Daequan and Hamlinz, finally coming in from the cold after a year away. Even major Twitch stars like Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has a deal inked with a gaming org, Luminosity Gaming, though it’s barely mentioned on his channel layout. One Twitch streamer that won’t be penning any major deals with esports orgs, however, is Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, who — despite fielding “a lot of offers” from multiple teams — has no interest in signing on the dotted line. The Twitch star got onto the topic of orgs (and her ambivalence towards joining one) soon after TinaKitten confirmed her big move on September 16. While Anys said she was, of course, happy for her friend, she was quick to shut down any suggestions that she too may be on the move in the near future, to 100 Thieves or elsewhere. She explained: “I’ve got a lot of offers from organizations, but I always felt like I don’t want to. Even throughout my whole come-up, I got offers. Look, I don’t know, I want to just be me. I don’t want to be under another company. “I don’t want anybody telling me what to do, how to live. “Do you think every creator has to be in an org? I actually think a lot of creators get lowballed by organizations. But I understand if they don’t value branding much.” Pokimane has previously revealed that the org offers started rolling in early in her career, right when she was beginning to explode onto the Twitch scene. The answer has always been the same, though: “No.” “I have been offered plenty of times. Years and years. Plenty of teams. But I’m on OfflineTV. You know, we created OfflineTV. I feel like if I joined a team, it would just kind of dilute my brand. And, I think it would dilute the OTV brand too. “I would feel like I’m spreading myself too thin. If I devote myself to something, I want to do it one-hundred percent. I don’t want to be not fully in anything.” For now, it looks like Pokimane will just be sticking with OfflineTV — itself a massively popular Twitch streaming org too— instead of any external offers. That plan seems to be working out just fine for her too; Anys is already one of the biggest content creators on the platform, and currently boasts nearly 8.2 million followers on Twitch. She has 7.2k subscribers to her name for September so far, despite a short stint away from the site. Recently, the 25-year-old took an extended break from Twitch to help her “reset” from burn-out, but returned on September 8 bigger and better than ever.

  • Pokimane & Kevin Kim dating speculation ramps up with mysterious ‘contract’ – Dexerto

Pokimane & Kevin Kim dating speculation ramps up with mysterious ‘contract’ Twitch: PokimanePeople have speculated Pokimane and Kevin Kim have been dating for a while now, but it reached new heights after the Twitch star revealed a new ‘contract,’ hinting he’ll be on-stream more often. On the fateful day of December 31, 2021, Poki surprised fans by having Kevin feature as a guest on her stream. Some were immediately convinced the two were dating, and they’ve been bugging her about it ever since. Poki refused to confirm or deny the nature of their companionship. “I feel like it’s weird to talk about stuff like that,” said Poki. “Imagine if a reporter came and forcibly asked who your crush is. It’s a weird thing to talk about publicly.” The need to keep her personal life separate from her professional life as a content creator is something she’s spoken about in the past. However, it’s only added more fuel to the fire about a potential relationship with Kevin. Things ramped up a notch on May 15 after Poki revealed a mysterious new ‘contract’ between them on her personal Twitter account. The picture shows her holding an A4-sized piece of paper with the following message: “Party A, Kevin Kim, hereby enters a contract with Party B, Imane Anys, under the following terms: 1. Once-a-month cooking streams, and 2. Bi-monthly stream support. These terms must be fulfilled within a 30-day calendar month. At face value, the tongue-in-cheek ‘contract’ only implies one thing — Kevin will appear on Poki’s Twitch streams two times a month, one of which will be a cooking stream, and it will start happening in the next 30 days. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to read between the lines. Some believe it’s an “obvious” sign they’re dating, while others joked that they’re bound by contract is “for life” since there’s no expiration date.

  • Pokimane is staying on Twitch and she’s giving away a Tesla to celebrate – Dexerto

Pokimane is staying on Twitch and she’s giving away a Tesla to celebrate Twitter: pokimanelolPopular streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed the highly-anticipated “next chapter” in her streaming career, just days after revealing that her Twitch contract ended. On January 31, Pokimane revealed on Twitter that her Twitch contract has officially ended with the Amazon-owned platform, and teased that she would announce her “next chapter” soon. Her tweet quickly sparked rumors about a switch to YouTube Gaming, however, the content creator has been silent about her next move since announcing the end of her Twitch contract. On February 8, 2022, Pokimane revealed that she’s staying on Twitch — and she’s giving away a Tesla to commemorate the occasion. Pokimane announces Twitch return “About that platform announcement… Instead of choosing between a red or purple car, I’m GIVING ONE AWAY,” she announced in a tweet, wearing a purple sweater for good measure. about that platform announcement… instead of choosing between a red or purple car, I’M GIVING ONE AWAY 😎 and as always, https://t.co/nlEB4g7esa 💜 pic.twitter.com/UrTBpYgBvT — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 8, 2022 This announcement comes just weeks after Pokimane was forced to end her stream due to a “hate raid” from Jidion. The drama quickly evolved into her having to deny allegations of on-stream drug use, receiving hateful comments and legal threats from Ninja and his wife, to an eventual in-person collaboration with Jidion himself. Fans react to Pokimane’s announcement Shortly after Poki’s revealed her announcement, fans began flooding the replies with a combination of love and support for her staying on Twitch and others posting their reasons why they need a new car. Fellow OfflineTV member Sydeon replied in support of Poki’s giveaway: “Leave it to Miss Pokimane to give away a Tesla. Like, hello??? Love it” Leave it to Miss Pokimane to give away a Tesla like hello??? Love it — Sydney🔮 (@Sydeon) February 8, 2022 Twitch streamer ‘SweeetTails’ also showed her love for the announcement and giveaway as she said it “fills my heart so much.” Poki’s friend and fellow streamer AriaSaki noted that if she won the car, they’d be able to go on a drive together. Others, however, used the empathy route to try to win the white Tesla. please pokimane i could use a new car rn pic.twitter.com/uyTpXoVfsh — vîs ❄️ (@VisionNotOkay) February 8, 2022 Overall, fans have approved of Pokimane’s Twitch contract renewal and many cannot wait to continue their sub-streaks and use their channel points the next time she goes live.

  • Pokimane jokes about why she can’t twerk at E3 parties – Dexerto

Pokimane jokes about why she can’t twerk at E3 parties Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys likes to have fun but she revealed that she can’t party the way she’d like to at an E3 party with a hilarious explanation. E3 2019 is in full swing and while the conferences are over, the party has just begun as the show floor is open to attendees to try out many of the game shown off during the presentations. While this is an exciting time of year for video game fans, it’s also a time of year where content creators can get together with one another, which is where E3 parties come in. Business or pleasure? Pokimane explained how she’d like to go to a party but doesn’t feel like E3 is the right setting for her. “Sometimes it just feels like these parties are more so work than they are play for me and I don’t really like that,” she explained. “Like you just can’t twerk at an E3 party, it’s unprofessional or something, I don’t know, that’s what my manager says so I guess I have to listen. But then why would I go?” Going to a conference like this can be exhausting and sometimes you just want to unwind after a long day, but she feels like that just isn’t an option for E3. While it’s clear that’s she’s making a joke, E3 does tend to be more professional as there are numerous brands that go to the conference and chances are you’ll run into a couple of your sponsors. During Dr Disrespects first IRL stream, which ended in a ban, he had a long chat with members from the G FUEL team, one of his sponsors. The Doc never got around to doing any twerking during his stream, but he did go into a bathroom several times, which Twitch clearly didn’t appreciate.

  • Pokimane instantly roasts JiDion’s new hairline after “transplant” stream – Dexerto

Pokimane instantly roasts JiDion’s new hairline after “transplant” stream YouTube: Pokimane, JiDionPremiumTwitch star Pokimane instantly roasted JiDion’s new hairline after he underwent a “hair transplant operation” during a live stream. Pokimane and JiDion’s unlikely friendship is a gift that keeps on giving. Initially, the two streamers were embroiled in a major feud that took over the internet after JiDion organized a “hate raid” against Pokimane in early 2022. The issue caused Pokimane to end her live stream in tears and ultimately resulted in JiDion’s permanent ban from Twitch. However, the two influencers were able to make up after having a private conversation, and ultimately squashed their beef in an unexpected mukbang video weeks afterward. As of now, the two are thick as thieves and pop up in each other’s content from time to time — the most recent example of which happened during JiDion’s live stream on May 4. That day, JiDion promised he’d broadcast himself undergoing a hair transplant operation on Rumble. However, it turns out he was just trolling and instead got an extremely convincing toupee. He quickly FaceTimed some of his influencer buddies to show off his new look, the very first one being Pokimane. Pokimane brutally roasts JiDion’s new hair After picking up his call, the first words out of Pokimane’s mouth weren’t the compliments he was expecting. Instead, she completely roasted his hairline, saying it looked a little too perfect to be convincing. “Listen, it looks okay,” she began. “The hairline is off, man. You gotta blend that. You know? Like, the hair is too clean. It’s tilted.” “That’s the point!” JiDion exclaimed. “It’s supposed to be clean.” “It looks not real,” Poki continued. “I’m so sorry. I’m too used to Baldion! I’m too used to seeing you bald, bro.” However, Pokimane changed her tune after they called again, saying she tuned into his stream and that his hair looked better than it did on their FaceTime call. It’s nice to see these two internet stars remaining friends after the rocky start to their relationship over a year ago — and it’s also fun to see JiDion rocking a whole new look. He did ask Pokimane to put in a word with Valkyrae, although Poki couldn’t guarantee it would work out. (She did encourage him to slide in her DMs, though… but Valk has claimed that her requirements for a future boyfriend are “incredibly high,” so it’s unclear if he’ll make the cut).

  • Pokimane in tears after being baited by hilarious ‘Rickroll’ self-defense TikTok – Dexerto

Pokimane in tears after being baited by hilarious ‘Rickroll’ self-defense TikTok Instagram/pokimanelol/YouTubeThe year may be 2021, but some people are still living like it’s 2008, as Twitch icon Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was hilariously Rickrolled during an April 24 stream. Rickrolling is one of the most famous internet pranks of all time and despite being over ten years old, it remains amusingly culturally relevant to this day, though perhaps in a bit of an ironic way. As such, whenever someone is Rickrolled in this day and age, it’s a bit of a groaner, but for Twitch star Pokimane, the meme prank was enough to make her tear up. During her Saturday broadcast, the streamer was playing Valorant when a viewer asked her to check out a TikTok about self-defense. The suggestion piqued Anys’ interest and decided to grant the viewer their request by loading up the video. Right off the bat, the video began with a man explaining that he would be teaching “the deadliest self-defense move known to man.” Clearly interested in what this deadly move could be, the Canadian continued watching, and the instructor hyped the trick up, emphasizing that it was “only for life or death situations.” After some brief instructions about how to properly make a fist in both hands, the man told viewers to move their clenched hands back and forth, which Poki naively imitated. Without warning, the video then transitioned to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” and Pokimane had been successfully Rickrolled in 2021. Not only that, but she was already dancing along to it thanks to the instructions. “There’s no way!” she gasped and buried her head in her hands. “There’s literally no way! Did I really just get Rickrolled through a TikTok in 2021? What the f**k?” While she was a bit shocked by the prank, the streamer was still impressed, especially at how it was presented. As such, she decided to post her reaction on Twitter. “Everyone NEEDS to learn this self-defense trick, it blew my mind,” she captioned her tweet with a series of emojis. The feedback from other streamers and fans was gold. TimTheTatman simply replied by saying what everyone else was thinking: “Rickrolled in 2021 LOL.” Meanwhile, NICKMERCS just responded with seven laughing emojis. For her part, Pokimane was a good sport about the whole thing and it’s nice to see such a classic internet meme continue to claim unsuspecting victims all these years later.

  • Pokimane inspires positivity with wholesome animal shelter stream – Dexerto

Pokimane inspires positivity with wholesome animal shelter stream Instagram: @pokiscat, @pokimanelolTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys is, like many others, bothered by the recent surge in animal cruelty cases, so she’s decided to spread some light and positivity in her community. Twitch streamer Alinity Divine sparked debate when she threw her cat over her shoulder during an Apex Legends stream on July 8. Local animal protection service Saskatoon SPSA cleared the ‘abuse’ allegations against her on July 27 after a thorough investigation. Later on August 7, YouTube personality Brooke Houts caused an uproar after she accidentally uploaded an unedited video that appeared to show her spit on and smack her Doberman puppy. PETA has since gotten involved and the LAPD are investigating. Pokimane is spreading positivity Back on August 7, Twitch star Pokimane announced that she was going to be volunteering at a local animal shelter in a bid to inspire positivity within her community. “There’s been a lot of sad news regarding animal abuse recently, so I decided I’ll be streaming myself volunteering at an animal shelter. I can’t wait to give a ton of dogs & cats some love, share that experience with y’all, and I hope to inspire you all to do the same,” she tweeted. There’s been a lot of sad news regarding animal abuse recently, so I decided I’ll be streaming myself volunteering at an animal shelter  I can’t wait to give a ton of dogs & cats some love, share that experience with y’all, and I hope to inspire you all to do the same ️:cat_face: — pokimane (@pokimanelol) August 7, 2019 She followed through with that announcement on August 15, broadcasting a near four-hour-long IRL broadcast from a local animal shelter alongside a friend who manned the camera throughout. Amid all the cuteness of taking puppies for walks, playing with cats, and asking questions to staff – there was a pretty serious message being presented as Poki explained how people can get involved with the cause to help sheltered animals by volunteering themselves, especially as it isn’t overly difficult to do so. As the stream went on, Poki tried to dig up some insight for her viewers who may be considering adopting a pet but are unsure if it’s the right time or they will be able to fully manage. “What do you recommend if someone is unsure whether they’re ready to be responsible for an animal?” asked the streamer at one point, stumping the shelter workers with such a good question. They noted that newer adoptees can foster pets for a certain amount of time – taking them out of that massive dive into responsibility by easing them into things. After all was said and done, the streamer was surprised by how easy the process of volunteering and helping out at the shelter actually was – encouraging viewers to follow in her footsteps. “At the end of the day, what are you doing? You’re feeding animals, taking them for walks, and giving them love. You’re not like a rocket scientist,” she added. “Yeah, it’s super easy and I feel like you get a lot of out it. It’s gratifying.” Whether or not Poki will decide to do another animal shelter volunteer stream remains to be seen, but considering the inspiration and personal joy she got out of the experience, it’s definitely not out of the question.

  • Pokimane in hysterics with Sykkuno’s explanation for leaving Coachella early – Dexerto

Pokimane in hysterics with Sykkuno’s explanation for leaving Coachella early Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed the hilarious DMs that her friend and fellow streamer Sykkuno sent her at the Coachella music festival, explaining his absence on day 3. Spanning over two weekends, Coachella is one of the world’s biggest music festivals, with over 250,000+ in attendance in California – including our favorite streamers and content creators. With stars from all over the entertainment industry appearing, YouTuber Logan Paul even hit the stage, as he joined Olivia O’Brien during her performance to poke fun at their past relationship. Additionally, Pokimane and co were also in attendance, along with other members of OfflineTV and the Amigops collectives, including Sykkuno. During Pokimane’s April 19 broadcast, the Twitch star revealed hilarious messages between her and Sykkuno at Coachella. The conversation started with her explaining that she was sad that Sykkuno wouldn’t be attending day three of the show. “I have literal iron lung from the dust,” said Sykkuno. “I got attacked by Gaara from the Sand Village. Was traveling through a solar storm on the martian wasteland because there was so much dust and wind!” Sykkuno continued: “I was spammed by a pack of sandshrews spamming sand attack, my accuracy is zero, it’s crazy! I wish we got to hang out more though.” Pokimane was left laughing in hysterics after reading out the hilarious messages that referenced Naruto and Pokemon: “The way he described it was so f**king good,” she said. The streamer added that she told Sykkuno she’d “protect him” from the dust with a blanket. However, being attacked by sand and dust isn’t the only issue the friend group has faced at Coachella either. Sykkuno revealed on Twitter that he was sleeping on a layer of pillows inside of the closet.

  • Pokimane hysterical over hilarious Ninja edit of her Twitch re-signing – Dexerto

Pokimane hysterical over hilarious Ninja edit of her Twitch re-signing Pokimane, Twitch / Ninja, MixerImane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s top streaming stars, re-signing with the platform in early March after speculation she would jump to another site — but one fan’s creative edit of her announcement video left her in stitches. Pokimane announced her re-signing to Twitch with a humorous video via Twitter, which showed her speaking with a classic “movie announcer” voice actor, reiterating that there would be no massive change to her career and asking him to get out of her streaming room. While she followed up this clip with a longer explanation of her decision, her creative way of announcing the signage quickly went viral — and one YouTuber decided to mix up the trailer in a hilarious way. The YouTuber, famous memer Dolan Dark, combined Anys’s re-signing video with a popular clip from Tyler “Ninja” Belvins’ Mixer stream, in which he notably argued against the mentality that esports is “just a game” and compared online competition to that of real sports. Dark’s video mashup made it seem like the Fortnite star was ranting about the situation from outside of Pokimane’s door, with “confused” the Twitch star confused as to who was fussing up a storm. Needless to say, Anys found the edit hilarious, and broke out into laughter while watching the clip during her own stream. Her laughter was further exacerbated by the final moment from Dark’s video, which combined EA Sports’ classic catchphrase with Ninja’s rant, combining it into a fusion of: “EA Sports — it’s just a game.” (Timestamp: 0:22 for mobile readers) While Pokimane is known for reacting to fan-made content during her broadcasts, this edit took the figurative cake of meme-worthy edits, which comes as little surprise, considering its hugely popular creator. The streamer’s decision to remain on Twitch came at a significant cost to her pocketbook, as well, as she revealed she accepted “less money” to continue streaming on the platform rather than taking bigger offers to switch websites. Citing latency and the importance of maintaining genuine interactions with her fanbase, it looks like Pokimane is there to stay — inspiring a hilarious video, in the process.

  • Pokimane in disbelief after fan sends her very rude Christmas gift – Dexerto

Pokimane in disbelief after fan sends her very rude Christmas gift One of the top streamers on Twitch, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, was left speechless after receiving one particular present sent to her during a Christmas gift opening stream, and she was certainly not expecting it. Around Christmas time, some livestreamers will do short broadcasts to show off gifts sent to them by fans and show their appreciation for their support. Typically, there will be a mixture of playful or gimmicky presents among more serious and heartfelt ones. But, by the nature of having gifts wrapped, there’s always bound to be a surprise or two. However, Pokimane got more than she bargained for. Things started off well, with touching and artistic ideas from fans, and even some merch from esports organization Cloud9, before things took a silly turn. One anonymous fan opted to send a rather crude gift, which, Pokimane explained, she had never been sent in over six years of streaming. “I cannot believe, six years into streaming, and it happened,” she said, while visibly stunned. “Someone sent me a big, black, adult toy. With lube.” With her viewers spamming the chat in hysterics, Pokimane could only hold her head in her hands and laugh. She then joked that the gift could simply be passed on to her housemate and fellow streamer Fedmyster, who she’s yet to get a present for. Thankfully, Anys had managed to work out the shape of the item before pulling it out of the box, as she worried that even showing it on stream could result in a warning from Twitch. “I don’t even think I can show that on stream – I’m so glad I felt it and my brain made the connection, and I didn’t fully take it out. I’m pretty sure that’s against TOS [terms of service]. Pokimane is likely correct to be concerned too, as Twitch’s community guidelines stipulate that, depending on context, most sexually suggestive content is not permitted. It’s not the first odd gift she has received though, as one fan previously sent a full-size body pillow with Poki herself imprinted on it. Thankfully, her other gifts were more suitable for her stream audience, with touching letters from fans and generous or thoughtful items.

  • Pokimane hits out at toxic female streamers – Dexerto

Pokimane hits out at toxic female streamers Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and stands out as the top female streamer, but she wants other female streamers to change their ways. The majority of the upper echelon of channels on Twitch are males, but there are many popular female streamers too, although the reason that they attract audiences isn’t always the same. Within the community of female streamers, there have been accusations that some of them ruin it for others, and Pokimane wants a change in attitude. With almost three million followers, Pokimane is in a unique position, with nearly two million followers more than the next biggest female streamers, AriGameplays and KittyPlays, who have just over one million each. In somewhat of a leadership role among female streamers, Pokimane took to Twitter on February 23, and called out the toxicity that can exist. Calling out “female streamers that actively and exclusively hate on other female streamers”, Pokimane suggested that they “get a new hobby.” if you’re a female streamer that actively and exclusively hates on other female streamers, I strongly suggest picking up a hobby lmao. That type of attitude isn’t gonna get you anywhere good. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 24, 2019 It seems Anys had one or two people in mind in particular when she sent out the Tweet, but said it wasn’t worth calling them out by name. they’re not worth the clout that a namedrop would give pic.twitter.com/wBArVDG46R — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 24, 2019 Pokimane’s rise to the top 20 most followed channels on Twitch (currently 12th overall) will serve as inspiration to other female streamers that they too can make it among the most popular streamers, which is still largely male-dominated. But, perhaps they will need to heed Pokimane’s advice about building each other up, rather than tearing each other down, to do so.

  • Pokimane left horrified after accidentally reading vulgar Valorant message – Dexerto

Pokimane left horrified after accidentally reading vulgar Valorant message Twitch: PokimaneSince returning to streaming after an extended break, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has maintained her popularity on Twitch. However, she may have a bit of rust after she read quite an awkward chat message on stream. Pokimane has returned to streaming since announcing an early September extended break. Since then she’s been seen playing with xQc, talking about her sexuality, and even soared nearly to the top of Twitch’s most-followed streamers. Unfortunately for the Canadian, occasionally a viewer comes in to chat and leaves a highly inappropriate comment. This time, Poki slipped up and read a message out loud on her stream and she seemed to be disgusted by it. Pokimane accidentally reads a vulgar message In her September 13 stream, the creator was highly focused on a game of Valorant when disaster struck. A viewer left an inappropriate message in chat and while interacting with her viewers, Pokimane slipped up and read it out loud. “Omg Poki, I have a b***r just watching you,” she read. With a look of pure disgust, Poki snapped back to the viewer: “You should get that looked at if you’re turned on by someone sitting here playing a video game, fully clothed and making a face because I’m so focused.” Pokimane has expressed how addicted she is to Valorant during a stream and even showed her love in a tweet. Maybe now that she is streaming again full time, this message will be the wake-up call she needs to keep her mind focused on Valorant while not letting any vulgarities slip into her broadcasts.

  • Pokimane hits out at “gross” re-uploads of her Twitch streams – Dexerto

Pokimane hits out at “gross” re-uploads of her Twitch streams YT: PokimaneStreaming giant Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has hit out at people using “gross and inappropriate” thumbnails and titles when re-uploading her Twitch streams to other platforms. Pokimane has had to put up with her streams being re-uploaded for some time now. It has previously led to controversies, particularly surrounding her own ability to copy-strike re-uploads of her own streams. She even clashed with YouTube King PewDiePie about her ability to strike re-uploads of her Twitch content. However, the ongoing DMCA issues on Twitch mean re-uploading content to other platforms is the only way to ensure it’s not being lost forever. Obviously, this brings it own issues with it, with platforms like YouTube also known for ambiguous copyright ruling and strikes. Pokimane, as one of the world’s biggest content creators on Twitch, has seen many of her past VODs uploaded to other platforms. While she has confirmed she has no issue with this, she has hit out at a portion of her followers who re-upload them and manipulate thumbnails or titles to portray her in a “gross and inappropriate” manner. “[I’ve] seen a lotta people re-upload my clips/VODs to YouTube,” she tweeted, on October 30. “I don’t mind but please don’t use gross and inappropriate titles and thumbnails. It’s my content after all, and it makes me uncomfortable to see it used that way… thank you to anyone who respects my wishes!” seen a lotta people re-upload my clips/VODs to youtube~ i don’t mind but please don’t use gross and inappropriate titles and thumbnails 😖 it’s my content after all, and it makes me uncomfortable to see it used that way.. thank you to anyone who respects my wishes! ♥️ — pokimane (@pokimanelol) October 30, 2020 Unfortunately, it’s something that’s all too common for Poki as the most-followed female streamer on Twitch. She has spoken in the past about uncomfortable encounters with fans, even to the point of forcing her to hire a personal bodyguard for community events. Reuploading her content with suggestive thumbnails and titles has been a constant battle for Anys, and one she’s still trying to fight.

  • Pokimane hits out at TikTok drama & toxic fans for ruining social media – Dexerto

Pokimane hits out at TikTok drama & toxic fans for ruining social media Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch personality Pokimane has taken to Twitter to criticize recent TikTok drama for making her “head hurt”, as she implores users to think more about the “consequences” of their actions. One of Twitch’s most popular streamers, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, knows a thing or two about the pressures of being an online influencer. With over 5 million subscribers/followers on Twitch and Instagram, she’s considered to be one of the faces of the platform. But, naturally, this popularity has come at a price, as she previously broke down during a Twitch interview about her struggle to separate her private persona from her public one. Most recently, she hit out at neighboring influencer hub, TikTok, calling the drama on the platform “sh**ty” while also taking aim at some of the more illogical comments. She suggested that social media “isn’t good for anyone – not the creator or the user,” attributing the blame for that on the claim that “people online want the insight of a family member but the responsibility of a stranger”. Hitting out at fans for refusing to take accountability for the hate they send content creators, Pokimane noted that such people want to “know it all and hold others to unrealistic standards, all while not thinking twice about their own actions or consequences.” Although recent TikTok drama has evidently given Pokimane some perspective, it is clear that she also, in some ways, is using her own negative experiences as a popular public figure on the internet. Compared to personalities on TikTok, the streamer is a lot less forthcoming about her personal life, such as the fact that she doesn’t believe in making her relationships public, telling fans, “I personally made the decision seven years ago when I got into streaming that I don’t want my personal life to be part of my content.” She has also amassed her fair share of criticism from fans in the past, like when she was accused of “clout chasing” for using a VT model in her streams, whilst other users claimed that nobody watched her streams for her “gameplay or personality”. It is clear that the pressure that comes with being an internet personality, whether Twitch or TikTok, is insane. So, it’s no surprise that Pokimane made the decision to take a break from streaming for mental health reasons last month. Pokimane’s comments directed at Griffin Johnson? Many people have taken Pokimane comments to be a thinly-veiled response to TikTok star Griffin Johnson’s diss track about Dixie D’Amelio and new squeeze Noah Beck. Whilst Johnson never named D’Amelio or Beck in the song, some of the allusions were clear. Clearly taking a swipe at D’Amelio for alleging that he cheated on Twitter, one of the lines of the song included: “She said I cheated, that’s just f*****d up, but you believed it, ain’t that convenient.” After the track dropped on September 2o, this led to D’Amelio using the backing track to post a TikTok detailing even more cheating allegations against Johnson, with Hype House’s Bryce Hall even weighing in to call out the Hype House’s “disgusting habits” and volatile response to the track. Johnson has seemingly backtracked, taking his track off streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, but it didn’t stop the damage from being done, as the whirlpool of drama led to a lot of people commenting and, thus, setting a perfect example of what Pokimane was frustrated about.

  • Pokimane hits back at Twitch viewers taking “creepy” clips during streams – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at Twitch viewers taking “creepy” clips during streams YouTube: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular broadcasters with a huge fanbase, but she’s hitting out at those in her audience who take “creepy” clips during her streams — some of which end up being the most viewed videos on her channel. [jwplayer mfcRpjb4] As one of the net’s biggest broadcasting platforms, it stands to reason that Twitch is home to a hive of different communities, from everything to ASMRtists and body painters — but some unwholesome users are taking advantage of female streamers on the site in a negative way. It’s not unusual to visit a woman’s Twitch channel only to find a widely-viewed clip in her videos section that seems rather odd for it’s view-count; generally, these clips will show the streamer bending over or standing up from her chair to walk away. Commonly called “creep clips,” these short videos are made with the sole intention of showing the streamer in a sexual light, giving other viewers a specific glimpse at a woman’s derriere when she stands up from her chair (or various other positions). Taken from objectively innocent streams, these clips put a dark spin on an otherwise normal interaction, and women across the platform are speaking out against the practice; namely, QuarterJade and Pokimane. In a Tweet published on October 15, QuarterJade — who boasts an impressive 351,000 followers on Twitch — hit out at those who make such clips in a very pointed way. “If you are the type of loser that clips when I walk away from my cam, bend over, etc… F**K YOUUUUUU,” she wrote. “I’m so sick of you stupid perverts and I hope your p***s gets stuck in a lawn mower.” if you are the type of loser that clips when i walk away from my cam, bend over, etc… FUCK YOUUUUUU i’m so sick of you stupid perverts and i hope your penis gets stuck in a lawn mower — QuarterJade (@QuarterJade) October 15, 2020 Another user replied to Jade’s Tweet by suggesting she merely switch to an “away” screen when standing up, arguing that “it’s not rocket science,” which prompted a heated response from Pokimane. “Why do we, as female streamers, need to work around the creeps in our chat?” Poki wrote. “Especially in regular and far from sexual scenarios, like standing up from our chairs lol.” why do we, as female streamers, need to work around the creeps in our chat? especially in regular and far from sexual scenarios, like standing up from our chairs lol.. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) October 15, 2020 With many female streamers complaining of stalking happening both on and off Twitch, the collective outrage against “creep clips” is steadily rising, an issue that many users hope the platform looks into very soon.

  • Pokimane hits out at “disgusting” comments after Fitz relationship joke – Dexerto

Pokimane hits out at “disgusting” comments after Fitz relationship joke Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has hit out at “disgusting” comments she received on Twitter as a result of a joke that fellow streamer ‘Fitz’ allegedly made about a fictitious relationship between the two of them. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s top streamers and a massively popular influencer — but being in the limelight isn’t always sunshine and roses, as evidenced by the drama that has unfolded after another content creator made a joke involving her. While Pokimane has stated in the past that she is decidedly keeping her relationship status under wraps, it seems that any mention of her involvement with another man in the streaming space is enough to send the internet into a tizzy. YouTuber and podcast host Cameron ‘Fitz’ McKay allegedly made a “joke” involving Pokimane, which he cleared up in a Reddit post explaining the issue. According to Fitz, he’d come across a Reddit thread speculating that he and Pokimane were in a relationship, as a result of fellow streamer Fedmyster’s Google document. Finding the fan theories ridiculous and hilarious, Fitz commented “ding ding ding, we have a winner” as a joke — but it clearly didn’t come across as intended. “My point is, I saw the post, I laughed, and I provided a response that in my mind was obviously a joke,” Fitz explained. “Unfortunately for myself and for everyone else involved, my attempt at comedy didn’t seem to register with the members of this subreddit, and with the wider community on twitter.” Somehow, Fitz’s “joke” caused a number of sexist and hurtful comments to be slung toward Pokimane as a result, who hit out at the abuse on twitter with a series of screenshots. “I’ve received an insane amount of disgusting/sexual comments and speculation because of a joke Fitz made (which he later apologized for),” she wrote. “We never dated, but even if we did, NO ONE deserves to be sent this.” The comments in question included a horde of accusations regarding Pokimane’s alleged relationship with Fitz, as well as a number of sexist insults. i’ve received an insane amount of disgusting/sexual comments and speculation because of a joke Fitz made (which he later apologized for). we never dated, but even if we did, NO ONE deserves to be sent this. pic.twitter.com/FZDA7cIE8o — pokimane (@pokimanelol) December 8, 2020 It seems that the comments section has not made much of an improvement, in this regard, with Pokimane’s statement receiving an equal amount of hatred; but plenty of fans have spoken out in support of the distressed streamer. This is far from the first time Pokimane has received criticism for something similar; the star became the subject of intense criticism after YouTuber ‘LeafyisHere’ claimed that she’d been hiding her relationship from donators, insinuating that those donators gave her money for the chance of a romance with her. While Anys made it very clear that she has no intention of making her love life public, it seems that this issue is one that continues to crop up in spite of her efforts to squash the drama.

  • Pokimane hits back at critics claiming people only tune in for “her looks” – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at critics claiming people only tune in for “her looks” PokimanePokimane hit back at an anonymous donator who wasted their own time and money to claim people only like her because of her looks and urged them to spend it on something that will make them happy. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the uncrowned queen of the streaming world in many ways. She’s wholesome, her content is entertaining, and she genuinely seems to care about her fans. Controversy hasn’t escaped her, but she has always apologized or explained the situation in more detail. Still, for whatever reason, she’s the streamer some people love to hate and is often subject to negative comments about herself, her looks, and her success on Twitch. It happened again in her latest stream when an anonymous donator said she’s only successful because of her looks. However, she decided to hit back and give them a piece of her mind. “People only like you because of your looks,” said the donator. “We don’t know your real personality.” It was a crude comment intended to get a reaction out of Pokimane. She stirred her thoughts for a moment and then responded. “You know, it’s quite odd,” she said. “The amount of people who go to the extent of sending me money just to summarize any success I’ve ever had in “your looks.” “It’s weird because I think… anybody can say that… when you’re in a position of entertaining.” Read more: Pokimane hits out at “disgusting” comments – “Of course, looking in a way that is attractive to some… can be a benefit to everyone,” she said. “As can a variety of other things. Being funny. Being hard working. Everybody has positive traits or negative traits or whatever.” “But I think objectively, logically, have you not seen a billion girls, especially on Twitch, that look far better than me?” she said. “How can my success be only due to the way that I look when there are many that look far better than me?” “Furthermore, why are you wasting your damn money trying to tell me this?” she said. “Take your money and spend it on yourself. Go buy yourself some makeup, do this, and have a career or something.” “You are not benefiting yourself whatsoever. I don’t even know your user name. I just hear your words. Neither does anybody else in my chat,” she said. “Please take your money, do something that’ll actually make you feel better. That’ll actually make a lasting impact on your life.” In a perfect world, people wouldn’t go out of their way to make negative comments about others, and they wouldn’t pay money to try and downplay a streamer’s success. But unfortunately, we’re not quite there yet. Pokimane deserves to be in the position she’s in because she sacrificed a lot and worked hard to make it happen. Not everyone would turn their back on a chemical engineering degree to focus on streaming, but she did, and it paid off. Plus, she’s a talented entertainer, and her content is what keeps most people coming back.

  • Pokimane hits back at gender “biases” in streaming scandals – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at gender “biases” in streaming scandals Pokimane, YouTube[jwplayer 3rV0GuQ7]Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular streamers — as well as one of its biggest female broadcasters — and as such, she’s hitting back at the double-standards she feels viewers have toward women on the platform. Pokimane is a huge name in the online streaming world, boasting over 5 million followers due to her humorous interactions with fans in multiplayer games and her hilarious reactions to content online. However, Anys is no stranger to backlash, with many critics hounding her social media profiles to harass her fans by calling them “simps” — not to mention always bringing up her viral no-makeup selfie. These trolls, alongside the recent cancel-culture boom in the online entertainment space, seems to have struck a nerve with the streamer, who took to her personal Twitter account to air out her feelings on double-standards in the broadcasting space on July 20. “In this industry, a girl f***s up: What a fake b***h, such a worthless piece of s***, also go die in a hole,” she began. “A guy f***s up: Omg king don’t worry, everyone makes mistakes, we know you have a good heart and will be here for you forever.” in this industry, a girl fucks up: what a fake bitch, such a worthless piece of shit, also go die in a hole.a guy fucks up: omg king don’t worry, everyone makes mistakes, we know you have a good heart and will be here for you forever 👑😔👏— imane 💜 (@imane) July 20, 2020 “It sucks because I can understand why,” she continued. “Guys have an easier time relating to guys, and girls to girls, so if a community is male-dominated, there’s bound to be biases. While it’s unclear if Anys was referencing this incident, several fans are speculating thus — as well as hitting back at her Tweets with such examples as Alinity Divine, another streamer who has sparked ire from male viewers for past offenses without being banned for them. Fan theories aside, Anys’s Tweets have set off a slew of conversation regarding how women are treated by viewers for any on-stream slipups as the conversation around acceptable online behavior continues.

  • Pokimane hits back at claims about why people really watch her on Twitch – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at claims about why people really watch her on Twitch Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, the world’s most successful and followed female streamer, has hit back at members of the Twitch community who claim she is not watched for her “gameplay or personality”. As the most successful female streamer in the world, it’s fair to say that Pokimane is uniquely placed in terms of the online negativity she receives. Twitch and gaming in general is a male-dominated internet space, and Poki has spoken out in the past about abuse and threats she has received. She even confirmed that she has been provided bodyguards to protect her at public events in the past, as a result of unwanted and threatening messages. On July 24, the US-based streamer hit back at her critics, especially those who insinuate she is only watched for because of how she looks. “‘People don’t watch you for your personality or your gameplay’,” she mocked. “[I] just averaged 11k+ viewers with no cam, late at night, and with a 10s delay.” The comments were followed by a sarcastic smiley face, as Pokimane proved that she still attracts viewers without being visible. “people don’t watch you for your personality or your gameplay” >just averaged 11k+ viewers with no cam, late at night, and with a 10s delay. ? — pokimane (@pokimanelol) July 25, 2020 The comments are unfortunately common for Anys. Despite these claims from some of her detractors, anyone who has watched her playing video games knows she can more than hold her own, whether it’s Fortnite, League of Legends, or any number of other games. Fellow female streamer Valkyrae supported her friend, commenting: “Bet haters trying to think of a rebuttal but can’t think of one”. On a similar note, DJ and prominent gamer Zedd responded to say: “Keep crushing Poki. We all love u with or without camera. :)”. In terms of the negativity she receives regularly, Twitch have committed to clamping down on viewers who breach their terms and guidelines. It seems that some are still active, however.

  • Pokimane hits back at claims that Jidion drama was just “a joke” – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at claims that Jidion drama was just “a joke” Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys took some shots at people who claim that some of the comments made by Jidion amid the hate raid drama were just ‘jokes’. In the back end of 2021, trolls began using Twitch’s raid tool – where you send your viewers over to another channel – as a way to spread toxicity and harass other streamers. While Twitch has tried to clamp down on the practice, the drama around it was reignited in mid-January when YouTuber-turned-streamer Jidion urged viewers to bombard Pokimane’s chat with messages of “L+Ratio.” That prompted her to end her stream, and the situation spiraled from there. Jidion received a permanent ban from Twitch, and plenty of other content creators have weighed in on the drama. However, Pokimane isn’t standing for anyone who thinks that some of the comments made about it are just “a joke.” During the early part of her January 23 stream, the OfflineTV member was watching a YouTube video covering the drama when the hosts made comments about her community. As she started breaking down the comments, Poki quickly spotted a message in her chat that called the whole thing a joke, and she wasn’t best pleased. “It’s a joke? No it’s not, no. What part of Dijon mustard saying that on his stream was a joke?” She asked. “Does anyone else think that was a joke? He didn’t even say it in a joking way. And, also, I don’t know any of these dudes, we’re not on banter level. It’s very clearly not a joke.” The Twitch star wasn’t finished there, however, as she pointed out that the ‘it’s a joke’ line only comes out when the whole thing has backfired. “It is so f**king annoying to have people say s**t, and then when it doesn’t work out for them, they resort to it was a joke,” she continued. “No, your s**t just didn’t land because it’s f**king weird. You meant it seriously and you thought people would like that you’re saying it seriously. But, it was weird.” Some fans may have put the drama to bed, but clearly, not everyone has.

Pokimane hits back at accusations of “exploiting” men for donations Pokimane, TwitchTwitch star Imane “Pokimane” Anys has hit back at critics on Twitter who accused her of “exploiting” her male fans for donations after she made a pointed message about constructive criticism. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s top streamers, boasting over 4.8 million subscribers due to her humorous interactions with fans and hilarious reactions to content during her broadcasts. However, being a forward-facing online entertainer is no cake walk, with Anys facing criticism after accidentally showing inappropriate material during a May 19 stream — a subject she seemed to mention in a Tweet posted on May 21. “You can say what you wanna say without being disrespectful,” she wrote. While some fans and fellow broadcasters agreed with her statement, one commenter accused the streamer of manipulating her male fans for donations, claiming that she was responsible for their “donation addiction,” which they compared to gambling addiction. “Respectfully, the way in which you exploit lonely men for donation money is predatory in nature and I think you should be limiting what you accept from them,” they wrote. “They are getting the same rush one gets from gambling addiction by donating.” https://twitter.com/itsslipperypete/status/1263637914321408002?s=20 “Just because I stream on Twitch doesn’t mean I ‘exploit lonely men for money,’” Anys hit back in a now-deleted Tweet. “…I don’t create personal relationships with my donors, nor do I exchange anything else for money, but a ‘Thank you.’” Another commenter chimed in on the matter, noting that there are male fans who seek relationships with female streamers and entertainers in a kind of parasocial relationship. “It’s not too far fetched to me to think there’s probably a few out there that virtually treat you as a girlfriend,” the user chimed in. “They get to donate so they feel like they provide, they can openly say they love you and most likely hear the words back, things like that.” It’s not too far fetched to me to think there’s probably a few out there that virtually treat you as a girlfriend. Pokimane hilariously stunned after receiving unexpected “compliment” on stream Fabletics / Pokimane, TwitchPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is no stranger to awkward interactions online – but one fan’s question left her shaking her head. Pokimane was in the midst of a broadcast on April 4 when a fan sent in a donation, asking the streamer what kind of leggings they should buy for their girlfriend – which quickly turned into an awkward compliment. “Hey Poki, my girlfriend’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to get her a pair of GymShark pants like yours,” the message began. “She has a big butt like you and I was wondering if they feel suffocating or if they are actually comfortable to wear.” While she didn’t directly address the comment at first, her face said it all, transforming into an incredulous expression as she stifled a laugh before answering the fan’s question. “Also, I can’t tell if you’re memeing, just so you can say that about my butt,” she said of the message, rolling her eyes. 500Pokimane hits back at sleazy donators This is far from Pokimane’s most awkward online encounter by far; in fact, the streamer lashed out at creepy donators after receiving a sleazy message during a March 16 broadcast, imitating the message with extreme shade. “Hey, can we see the back of the outfit?” Poki mocked. “Is there a zipper? Wait, do you have a zipper on your underwear? What if you turn a 180 and bend over? Is there any additional design in between your legs?” Pokimane’s uncomfortable interaction with a crushing 12-year-old fan Pokimane has also been the subject of unwanted advances by young fans, most notably after a young Fortnite player made lewd comments about the streamer during a game in August 2018. Although Anys shot back at the player’s behavior, he continued to make rude and suggestive comments; however, the player later went on to publish an apology video on the matter, claiming that his comments were meant as a joke. Even Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins weighed in on the matter, speculating that the internet’s anonymity allows children to engage in “disgusting” behavior toward women. “For some reason, kids just think that they can be the most disgusting people in the world,” Ninja said of the issue. “It’s the anonymity. There’s no punishment.” Pokimane is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, boasting nearly three million followers on the platform.

  • Pokimane hits back at Amber Heard comparison after showing off new hair color – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at Amber Heard comparison after showing off new hair color Twitch: pokimane / Warner Bros. Pictures DCPokimane showed off her fiery new hair color to her Twitch chat… though some fans couldn’t help but jokingly compare the streamer to a certain Aquaman star. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most followed woman on Twitch, and as such, any major style change she makes causes quite a stir among her nine million devoted followers. Last year, Anys wore her hair naturally on stream for the first time, revealing that she’s a curly-haired queen and proudly rocking the ‘new to Twitch’ style. While the change did spark some backlash among certain viewers, the internet, overall, was receptive to her curly hair (not to mention the excitement that happened when she got a temporary tattoo). Now, Anys has changed up her look again — this time, by dyeing her hair a different color. On May 8, Pokimane booted up her Twitch stream to show off her red-orange hair. It’s a subtle difference, but it’s definitely noticeable, and it’s clear she was excited to hear the opinions of her chat. In a funny twist of events, her fans ended up trolling her by claiming they “couldn’t see a difference” and saying the new ‘do’ “looked the same” as it had before. View this post on Instagram While Anys took the joking in stride, there was one particular comment that she couldn’t let slide. One particular fan made a joking comparison to actress Amber Heard, who notably sports bright red hair in Aquaman. Right now, Heard is in the middle of a lengthy defamation trial with ex-spouse Johnny Depp, who is suing his former wife for $50 million in response to an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post back in 2018. Poki was having none of this comparison. “Hell no, I’m not!” she exclaimed after reading the comment. “I am not. I am not! I am very, very, very not. That ain’t me! No siree! Nope!” While it was all fun and games with her Twitch chat, it looks like Anys wasn’t about to let a comparison like that slide. Though all in all, it looks like her new hair color was well-received in the end, marking a new fashion era for the streaming powerhouse.

Pokimane gets hilariously baited by deceptive donation message Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikPopular Fortnite Battle Royale broadcasts and her hilarious interactions with fans – one of which took place thanks to a fan’s misleading donation. Pokimane was making an attempt to power through a session of ‘Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy’ on June 6, a popular platforming game that is known for making players throw their controllers in rage. However, it wasn’t the game that caused Pokimane to do a double take: rather, it was a fan’s donation message, which popped up in the middle of her session and appeared to encourage her efforts. ‘Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy’ is a popular game across the online space, with many top YouTubers and Twitch streamers uploading rage compilations of their attempts at beating the title.https://www.polygon.com/2018/1/12/16883038/getting-over-it-speedrun-bennett-foddy “Whenever you fall, it feels like I’m falling with you,” user ‘nach0dip’ wrote. “This game really makes you become one with the streamer.” However, that was where the niceties ended: the streamer’s message quickly turned in the opposite direction, taking a playful jab at Pokimane’s skills in ‘Getting Over It.’ “Lol just kidding what on earth are you doing?” the message continued. “Just get over it already.” Pokimane’s pleased smile quickly turned into a confused frown, looking directly into the camera as though in an episode of ‘The Office.’ This wouldn’t be the first time Pokimane has been pranked by members of her chat; the streamer was also victim of a classic practical joke across Twitch, which plays a highly realistic knocking sound in both headphones when triggered. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s most popular female content creators, boasting over three million followers as of June 7.https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1134183109048410112?s=20 Pokimane let out an astonished gasp at the noise during a stream in late March, apparently thinking that someone was knocking at her bedroom door, later berating the prankster using a popular meme. “Stop!” Pokimane cried. “I hate that! I’m sensitive right now! I hate you!” However, not all of Pokimane’s fan interactions are wholesome: she has likewise been the target of unwanted sexual advances, with even a child saying some untoward remarks during a joint session of Fortnite Battle Royale in August 2018. While the youngster ended up apologizing for his antics, Pokimane continues to ward off such comments as her Twitch career continues – although some moments provide more hilarity than others, as evidenced by her fan’s humorous donation message.

  • Pokimane hilariously confronts young fan’s mom over Fortnite match – Dexerto

Pokimane hilariously confronts young fan’s mom over Fortnite match Pokimane, YouTube / FreepikPopularFortnite in late August. While Pokimane often runs into younger players in Duos and Squads, this particular interaction took an unexpected turn, after the streamer was taken aback by her partner’s upbeat and positive attitude. Although young, the player explained that he usually gets games with newbies who “have no idea what they’re doing,” and helps them to get their first Dub – a fact that left Pokimane pleasantly surprised. 500https://www.instagram.com/p/B1caboEln3K/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“I usually come on just to make sure people are having a good day and feeling good about themselves,” the player, named “Clutch Grind” said. “Making sure they’re up and not down.” “That’s so nice,” Anys responded. “How are you real?” That wasn’t the end of their conversation, by far: Grind’s mother soon walked past his setup, who he excitedly told that he was in a game with Pokimane. 500https://www.instagram.com/p/B0URGCglF95/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkThis gave the streamer a unique idea, who asked Grind to put his mother on the mic so she could compliment her for raising her son so well. “I just wanted to tell her that she did a good job raising you,” Pokimane said, which Grind quickly relayed to his mom. Anys smiled as his mom gave an audible “awww” on the other end of the mic, with Grind saying, “She says thank you” in response to her compliment. (Timestamp: 5:25 for mobile viewers) While this wholesome interaction will have fans smiling from ear to ear, not all of Pokimane’s run-ins with young fans are pleasant: in fact, one Fortnite player made sexually explicit comments toward the streamer in summer 2018, later apologizing for the incident in a YouTube video. “Bro, you’re twelve,” Anys replied in shock after the youngster asked if she was “down to sixty-nine.” “…you can’t be talking like that.” Despite this incident, Pokiman’s stream is generally full of more wholesome antics, which, thanks to her recent foray into the horror game genre, are guaranteed to give fans a good laugh.

  • Pokimane has hilarious punishment for fans who insult her pet cat – Dexerto

Pokimane has hilarious punishment for fans who insult her pet cat Pokimane, Twitch / TwitterPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys isn’t the only star of her live broadcasts: sometimes, her pet cat Mimi steals the show, although some fans are poking fun at her furry friend for putting on too many pounds. Anys adopted the adorable feline over one year ago, around June 2018, after a months-long search for just “the right kitten.” In Mimi’s time with Anys, it appears that the Ragdoll breed has gotten a bit heavy – that is, according to some fans, who Pokimane called out for their comments during a stream on June 28. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/BjvkdE-g8Um/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkAnys was distracted by her pet during the broadcast when a few fans accused Mimi of being “just fat,” to which the streamer gave a hilarious threat in return for their “insults” toward the animal. “She’s not fat!” Pokimane contested. “Anyone who calls my cat fat gets a seven-year ban. Yeah, that’s how long you need to repent for. Seven years.” However, Pokimane’s “ban” turned out to be a humorous “curse,” with the streamer claiming that she’d “baited” her fanbase in order to advocate for animal rights. “When I said seven year ban, I meant seven years of bad luck,” she continued. “Congratulations, you just cursed yourself for seven whole years. How does it feel, huh? That’s what you get for being mean to an animal. They can’t even hear you. They don’t even know what’s going on, and you’re being mean to them!” 600https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1008145185803460609Pokimane herself has even commented on Mimi’s weight in the past, calling her pet “thicc” in a few good-natured posts about the animal. me n thicc mimi both love my @HyperX headset ☺️☺️ live @ https://t.co/nlEB4gohua #ad :lovestruck_cat: pic.twitter.com/2Tc0htzV9m — pokimane (@pokimanelol) February 22, 2019 However, Pokimane’s efforts to adopt a cat weren’t all sunshine and roses: prior to adopting Mimi, she streamer had her heart set on another cat available at a PetSmart location, which required her to meet with staff at a certain date and time to adopt the animal. While Pokimane rushed to the location after filming for YouTubers React, it turns out she was too late – the streamer had arrived just as another couple were adopting the feline, in a turn of events that she claimed “broke her heart.” [Timestamp: 9:36 for mobile viewers] Despite this setback, Pokimane is now a dedicated cat mom to Mimi – and she’s even willing to “curse” fans for poking fun at her beloved pet.

  • Pokimane gets hilariously baited by 8-year-old’s emotional message in Fortnite – Dexerto

Pokimane gets hilariously baited by 8-year-old’s emotional message in Fortnite Pokimane, YouTube / MamaMia.comPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is no stranger to online encounters with younger fans – but one interaction in Fortnite gave her quite the surprise. Pokimane went live with a Fortnite stream in early March when she received an urgent message from a fan, who claimed to be in a state of emotional distress. “I’m not having a good day and I want to talk to you,” player ‘RileyOMG123’ wrote. “I want someone to cheer me up. Please, I’m crying.” [Timestamp: 0:30 for mobile viewers.] Pokimane conceded to the fan’s request out of apparent concern – only to be met with an onslaught of giggles from a group of youngsters. “I told you I got her added,” one fan said over the mic. “…I told you she was real.” “You said you were crying!” Pokimane shot back. “Just to get me in here. Riley, you lied to me.” “Dude, Riley said he was crying!” she continued as the squad dropped into the map. “I can’t ignore someone being like, ‘I’m crying Poki, help!’” While Pokimane dutifully played through the rest of the game with the kids, she wasn’t a fan of Riley’s sneaky tactics – and even made sure to ask them about their progress in school, for good measure. While Pokimane frequently runs into children during her streams, not every fan interaction is positive; one young player made inappropriate advances toward the streamer during a broadcast in summer 2018, which prompted him to create an apology video after his antics went viral. However, not all interactions are bad ones, as she later paid a 13-year-old player over Fiverr to coach her in Fortnite during one humorous broadcast.

  • Pokimane has perfect response after Twitch leak reveals her streaming income – Dexerto

Pokimane has perfect response after Twitch leak reveals her streaming income Twitch/PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys responded to the massive leak revealing the highest-earning streamers by finding a bright side in all the drama. On October 6, a massive leak surfaced revealing the earnings of popular streamers, passwords, and other extremely sensitive information. The breach, which was confirmed by Twitch to be accurate, has resulted in a firestorm, with some streamers who topped the list, such as xQc and Hasan, mocking the leaked information. Pokimane, however, used the leak as an opportunity to further explain why she implemented a cap on how much money fans can donate to her channel. Pokimane responds to Twitch leak “At least people can’t over-exaggerate me ‘making millions a month off my viewers’ anymore,” she said sarcastically with a goofy-looking emoji. According to the leaks, from August 2019 to October 2021, Pokimane was the 39th-ranked highest-earning Twitch streamer at just over $1.5 million. However, she added her $5 donation cap on November 1, 2020 with the streamer earning just over $38k in September of 2021. i capped my donations a year ago since i’m now at a point where sponsors, investments, and exclusive contracts can sustain me. transparently, subs + stream ads are the lowest part of my income and i want you guys to continue keeping that money in your pocket. • Pokimane has perfect response to thirsty Twitch fan asking for feet pics – Dexerto

Pokimane has perfect response to thirsty Twitch fan asking for feet pics Twitch: PokimanePopular Twitch streamer Pokimane trolled a creepy viewer asking her for feet pics. The OfflineTV star had her chat in tears of laughter after having the perfect response to the bizarre fan request. As one of the top female streamers on Twitch, Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys has had to deal with her fair share of run-ins with trolls and pushy audience members trying to derail her live broadcast. The Moroccan-Canadian turned the tables on one fan who kept asking her for feet pics. The 25-year-old embarrassed the thirsty viewer by giving them exactly what they asked for with a hilarious twist. Pokimane hits back at Twitch viewer asking for feet pics The popular OfflineTV creator uploaded a clip of the encounter to her YouTube on March 18 and showed how she handled a pushy fan who kept asking her to show her feet live on stream. In the clip, the thirsty viewer kept asking to see her feet in chat. “Show feet my love,” Anys said, reading the creepy message out loud to her audience. “You want me to show feet? Sure. Here,” she responded, before pulling up a Google image search of “gross feet.” The streamer then pointed towards all the twisted unhygienic images of feet and asked, “Do you like these? Show feet? Oooh, this one’s like teasing you through the sock. How about these?” She then broke down into laughter and quipped, “You said show feet. I’m just being a people pleaser out here, you know!” The streamer’s perfect response had her chat in complete laughter as she had given the thirsty viewer exactly what they wanted. Fans reacted to the moment and praised Anys for how she handled the unruly audience member. “Pokimane is such a smartass and I love it!” one user wrote. Another commented, “THIS IS SMART I LOVE HER BAHAHA.” While this will not be the last time Pokimane will have to deal with nefarious viewers, maybe they will think twice the next time they try to disrupt her broadcast as the OTV star has proven herself as the queen of ultimate comebacks. With over nine million followers on the platform, she has also continued to be one of the most popular channels on Twitch. During the Streamer Awards in March, the creator won the ‘Legacy Award’ for her impact on the streaming industry.

  • Pokimane has perfect comeback for trolls calling her “ugly” in Twitch chat – Dexerto

Pokimane has perfect comeback for trolls calling her “ugly” in Twitch chat YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys had a hilarious response to trolls calling her “ugly” during a stream reading out unban requests from banned viewers. Pokimane is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and one of the site’s most-followed broadcasters, overall. Boasting over 8.5 million followers on the purple streaming platform, Anys is clearly a popular public figure… but with great renown comes, well, trolls. Unfortunately, harassment and negative comments are par for the course when you’re an internet superstar. Luckily, Anys is good at taking these comments for what they are — the blabbering of internet trolls. Pokimane hits back at commenters calling her “ugly” Pokimane often reads out her unban requests from viewers during certain live streams. These requests usually ask broadcasters to unban them, explaining what led to their ban and sometimes apologizing for the incident that prompted it. During a recent unban request stream, Pokimane came across several comments that called her “ugly.” “What’s up with everybody calling me ugly?” the streamer asked before launching into a mockingly “hurt” tirade. “I mean, just because I don’t look my best everyday doesn’t mean I’m ugly, like that’s not very nice to say!” the streamer joked. “Everybody has insecurities. And not everybody can be to everybody’s taste, so someone’s always gonna think you’re ugly.” Read More: Top 10 most-watched games on Twitch in 2021 – “Just kidding!” Pokimane yelled. “I don’t give a f**k! L, nerd! But actually, I don’t, it’s just annoying to read. Like, what is the point? Also, don’t call someone ugly if your icon is of the Mona Lisa! Because then, I can’t roast you back!” Pokimane encouraged viewers who roast others’ looks to show off their own faces, noting that many rude commenters don’t ever use their own photos in their profile images. (Topic begins at 1:05) It’s clear that Pokimane isn’t phased by these sorts of comments — and she’s more than willing to roast them right back, too.

  • Pokimane Has Another Weird Encounter with a Young Kid on Fortnite – Dexerto

Pokimane Has Another Weird Encounter with a Young Kid on Fortnite Pokimane, a popular streamer on Twitch, recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with a very rude 12 year old she matched up with on Fortnite duos, and now it seems she can’t get away from them. As many Fortnite streamers do, Pokimane often plays ‘random duos’, where she will search for a duo game by herself and is then matched with another random player. It can make for great stream highlights, as fans will often recognize the name of their partner and be starstruck, not believing their luck that they get to play with one of their favorite streamers. But unfortunately, not all fans are so courteous, as Pokimane found out the hard way. Her first encounter, which quickly went viral, had a 12 year old go way too far in explaining how much he liked her. The young player did however come out and make an apology video following his actions. Pokimane wasn’t discouraged though, and once again played more random duos on stream, and once again met up with a very young player, who thankfully was of fewer words. However, it quickly took a turn for the worst after Pokimane complimented how ‘cute’ he was – to which the young player responded by just swearing back at her. The kid didn’t say a single word after this either, completely ignoring Pokimane as she tried to co-ordinate where they would land for the match, and then just leaving the game as soon as he was eliminated. On this occasion, it seems the player was actually too young to even know who he was playing with, which at least mean that Pokimane didn’t have to endure any over the top comments of affection. After the first incident, Pokimane took to Twitter to ensure that the reputation of young players wasn’t painted with the same brush: “I’ve played countless games with strangers and I’ve rarely ever had negative interactions with them, but there’ll always be a few bad apples here & there.” 500https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1030984277050028032 Regardless, Pokimane’s experience with some players, especially of the younger generation, may cause her to be cautious with who she plays with in the future.

  • Pokimane gives HAchubby surprising “proposition” following fan video – Dexerto

Pokimane gives HAchubby surprising “proposition” following fan video Popular Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys reacted to a hilarious clip from Korean streamer HAchubby, and then offered the personality an interesting proposal. Pokimane is the most popular female streamer on Twitch with over 3.4 million followers, with her laidback streams, and charming personality helping to gain her a huge following on the streaming platform. However, after stumbling across a comical clip of variety streamer HAchubby, the Twitch star had a surprising proposition for her as she reacted to a meme video of the Korean saying she wants a girlfriend. Pokimane “wants” HAchubby While reacting to Twitch content during her broadcast, Pokimane came across a clip from HAchubby with over 29,000 views titled ‘Hachu wants a girlfriend’ where the Korean streamer reacted to a fan-edited video of her. The streaming star immediately said “Insta-click this one!” upon reading the title, and after watching it, made an interesting offer to the Korean that would make anyone blush. “I don’t really know the original context is, but I would like to publicly say… HAchu, if you are still interested in having a girlfriend, I’m available for being your girlfriend!” she exclaimed, smiling. (Mobile viewers, click here for the clip.) The clip was taken from the Korean streamer’s October 11 broadcast where she reacted to a fan video of her having a conversation with fellow Twitch personality ‘39daph’, where they discussed dating. The edit made her say “I want a girlfriend!” as well as some unsavory things saw the Korean streamer laughing from shock. The clip went on to become a meme, and Pokimane picked up on it. (Mobile viewers, click here for the clip.) HAchubby actually met Pokimane During her October 7 stream, HAchubby opened up to her audience about meeting the Moroccan-Canadian for the first time at Twitchcon 2019. In the clip, the Korean explained how she was nervous, before her friends pushed her to meet the Twitch star. “I saw Pokimane and was like OMG! OMG! My friends were like “Go! Go to her!” Then Pokimane was like “HI!” and hugged me. And she was very fun, and very very kind,” she exclaimed emotionally, before explaining that the 23-year-old was the first English speaking streamer she had ever watched. (Mobile viewers, click here for the clip.) While the whole thing was in good fun, Pokimane seems to like the HAchubby as she knew who she was when they met up at TwitchCon in San Diego, California, and was quick to click on her video during her broadcast. Perhaps in the future, fans could see a collaboration between the two which would make for the most wholesome stream ever.

  • Pokimane has a savage reply to 100 Thieves x OTV buyout rumors – Dexerto

Pokimane has a savage reply to 100 Thieves x OTV buyout rumors YouTube: Pokimane / 100 Thieves / OfflineTV100 Thieves might be adding quite a few stars to its roster as of late, but Twitch streamer Pokimane isn’t convinced the org can afford to buy out the cast of Offline TV. 100 Thieves and Offline TV are two of the biggest streaming organizations in the industry right now, alongside other groups like One True King and TSM. Both have signed a wide cast of uber-popular broadcasters. 100 Thieves boasts the likes of Valkyrae, CouRage, and Nadeshot, while Offline TV has in its ranks Disguised Toast, Michael Reeves, and Pokimane. In fact, both organizations have added to their members recently; 100 Thieves notably signed Will Neff earlier this month, while OTV took on QuarterJade, Sydeon, Masayoshi in its first expansion since 2019. Pokimane roasts rumors of OfflineTV buyout from 100 Thieves With these growing numbers in mind, it stands to reason that some fans might be curious about a merger between the two groups — but according to Pokimane, this is out of the question, and even a bit hilarious. During a November 23 Twitch stream, Pokimane read a comment from her chat aloud. “100 Thieves bought OTV?” the commenter asked. “Nah, they can only buy everybody around us,” Pokimane joked before breaking out into laughter over her scathing roast. “Not us!” There’s no bad blood between OTV and 100 Thieves; Pokimane notably joined Valkyrae in promoting her very own merchandise line in September, and often hangs out with 100 T streamers for various projects. However, Poki has been staunchly firm in her opinions on her streaming career in the past, having roasted YouTube as a competitive streaming platform over Twitch during Twitch’s earnings leak in October. For now, it looks like OTV is staying in their own camp… but there’s no telling which streamers might join them next.

Pokimane went live in a joint stream with Greek on October 12, where the two gave out both dating and general life advice to curious fans. Between the hilarious banter and more serious romantic discussions came a somber message from a 14-year-old viewer, who claimed that he was being bullied at school and had just been rejected by a girl he liked. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B3ftpOZlaRS/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“Hey Poki, I get bullied at school,” the fan wrote. “I’m fourteen, and I asked out this girl. She said, ‘Uh, I don’t know about that,’ and I got laughed at. Please help me.” “I’m sorry to hear that,” Pokimane replied. “Honestly, you’re so young. Don’t worry about that. Everybody gets rejected a few times when they’re young.” However, Greek didn’t seem to be pleased with Anys’s response, going on to give an encouraging speech to the youngster in light of his current plight. “No – that can actually mold somebody for the rest of their lives, Pokimane,” he argued. “I was bullied when I was younger, too. …this is what you do, mate. You’re getting bullied, right? You don’t fit in. That’s fine, dude. I didn’t fit in at school, and look at me now, man. I’m at the tippy-top, dude.” Pokimane went on to give the teen more pointers, advising him to find a “safe space” – whether online or IRL – to make connections with others, aside from his bullies at school. “I think finding a safe space helps so much,” she said. “…When I was in high school, I always had an online group of friends to play games with, even if I I didn’t see them at school, or whatever it was. I think it still helped me to have those friendships and it reassured me that there are people out there that like me.” While Pokimane has given fans more humorous advice in the past, both her and Greek’s words came from the heart – and hopefully helped the teen in need.

  • Pokimane grossed out after xQc pretends to sniff her gaming chair – Dexerto

Pokimane grossed out after xQc pretends to sniff her gaming chair Twitch/PokimanePokimane has acknowledged how xQc jokingly ‘sniffed’ her gaming chair in a recent stream, with the Reddit community soon calling out his actions online. xQc checked into Pokimane’s recent Twitch stream during his own September 29 broadcast. When checking in, xQc – after being encouraged by his viewers – proceeded to move his camera towards her chair and act as though he was sniffing the bottom of the seat. Pokimane’s reaction to the video included the streamer simply yelling out “ew” and laughing off the incident before moving on. However, she did make one comment on the moment in response to his antics, noting how his “nostrils opened up so big” when he sniffed her chair. While the moment only lasted a few seconds, people online have taken major issues with it, a new Reddit thread about the clip generating almost one thousand comments in a matter of hours. In a comment that has over 2.7k likes, Reddit user JeremyK_980 wrote, “I’m struggling to think of any other profession besides streaming you can do sh** like this and not get canceled for being a weirdo.” Other Reddit users have called xQc out for his actions and how they came only a week after the content creator spoke out “against sexual harassment on twitch.” More comments highlighted how “female streamers have enough creeps without their colleagues adding to it.” During xQc’s September 21 stream, the content creator seemingly called out Pokimane for using the gambling issue as a way to gain clout. xQc admitted at the time that, “I’m not picking a bone with Poki, okay? I’m not picking a bone with her, but I was just also surprised seeing her in her free time watch gambling from her close friend,” He then went on to add that, “she went so hard at the big two gamblers or whatever, while still actively watching a close friend do it and never mention her name in any conversation in any conversation about gambling ever?” At the time of writing both xQc and Pokimane are yet to comment further on the latest incident.

  • Pokimane gives pointed message to channel posing as OfflineTV – Dexerto

Pokimane gives pointed message to channel posing as OfflineTV Imane “Pokimane” Anys is more than a top streamer in her own right: she’s also part of the streaming group “OfflineTV,” which is suffering from a content thief posing as the organization on YouTube. OfflineTV is a broadcasting group comprised of several popular Twitch streamers, including Pokimane, Lily “LilyPichu” Ki, “Fedmyster,” and Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, among others. However, it seems that a potential fan of the group has decided to use OfflineTV’s content for their own purposes, creating a YouTube channel that uses clips from the group’s broadcasts as highlights. That’s not all: the channel even appears to be posing as the org, with their “About” section reading, “We’re Offline TV! We are a group of content creators who got our start in gaming. Now we live in a house together and make cool videos.” Pokimane addressed this fake channel during a broadcast on November 29, where she explained that she’d left numerous comments on their videos urging the poster to stop using her content, since she’s made another account for such highlights. “If you’re watching this, I want you to know – please stop,” she pleaded. “Like I am personally asking you, just don’t use my stuff, okay? And if other people – I don’t think they want you to use their stuff, either… but they can make that decision for themselves.” However, it doesn’t look like her pleas got her very far, causing her to reach out to her own fanbase for help. Since it seems that her own efforts aren’t enough, Anys asked her fans to leave similar comments on the channel’s uploads, in hopes that the impersonator will see her plea and discontinue uploading her content. “…if you guys do see this channel posting our stuff, feel free to comment,” she continued. “Maybe he didn’t see me comment, and be like, ‘Poki doesn’t want you using her stuff, please and thank you.’” While the channel is still active as of writing this article, fans have since flooded the account’s comments section asking them to stop their thievery – although they have yet to respond to the community’s cries.

  • Pokimane “graduates” from OfflineTV to pursue new mystery project – Dexerto

Pokimane “graduates” from OfflineTV to pursue new mystery project Twitter: OfflineTVStreamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has announced that she will no longer be full-time with OfflineTV. One of the biggest streamers in the world, Pokimane graduated from an aspiring gaming streamer who was in school to a full-time lifestyle, fashion, and gaming content creator. Now, she is graduating from the group that she helped found over half a decade ago. Though she has always been linked to the rag-tag group of content creators, who are also her friends, she announced that she would be moving on from OfflineTV. OfflineTV praises Pokimane with graduation video In a full three-act play, members of OfflineTV bid goodbye to Pokimane with a reenactment of her entire life and journey, including her career as a streamer and OTV founder. Once the skit was done, the rest of the OfflineTV cast and Poki sat down to explain exactly what “graduating” would mean. “I would love to still be a part of future videos,” Anys said when discussing her role with OTV going forward. “What does graduating look like? I don’t know. I’m the first one to do it.” When discussing further, though, Pokimane explained that her schedule has become so jam-packed that it left her unable to consistently participate in OTV’s activities. Difficulties balancing OTV obligations, her work, and life ultimately led to her decision. But she is leaving OfflineTV on good terms, assuring fans that there is “nothing wrong” with the relationship between her, the organization, and the members. She reiterated that she is open to collaborating and being a part of future projects. One of the biggest teases, though, was that Pokimane also noted that she has an upcoming mystery project that will launch in the next year. Presumably, the commitment that this project entails was a factor in her decision. So the OTV bade Pokimane farewell, dumping homemade slime on her to officially conclude Poki’s graduation ceremony.

However, the streamer posted a meme to Twitter on September 12 that may have given fans a sneak peek into her love life – with a humorous twist. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Sd8BKlv-s/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“It’s cuffing season, and yet here I am,” Anys wrote alongside a stock photo of open handcuffs. it’s cuffing season and yet here i am.. pic.twitter.com/aZFJYYriup — pokimane (@pokimanelol) September 12, 2019 While it might seem like Anys was geniunely venting about her single status, the streamer clarified that she was merely joking around, and encouraged her fanbase to enjoy being single if they’ve found themselves without a cuddle buddy this fall. “I’m just memeing y’all, don’t ever feel bad about being single,” Pokimane explained. “The right person will come along, you just gotta focus on becoming someone deserving of that right person.” i’m just memeing y’all, don’t ever feel bad about being single  the right person will come along, you just gotta focus on becoming someone deserving of that right person :heart_ribbon: — pokimane (@pokimanelol) September 12, 2019 Despite giving viewers advice on their own love lives, Pokimane has decidedly kept her own affairs out of the limelight, as stated during a Q & A video where she answered fans’ most pressing questions. “I don’t know if I would like, really want to put my relationship out there one I get into one,” she said of the matter. “For example, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of couples out there who make their relationship public. …when they break up, they have to make that public, too.” (Timestamp: 2:41 for mobile viewers) That’s not all: the streamer also denied keeping her relationship private in hopes of capitalizing off “thirsty” fans, as many female broadcasters are accused of doing by online critics. • Pokimane gifted hilarious NSFW ‘stress relieving’ toy from fan – Dexerto

Pokimane gifted hilarious NSFW ‘stress relieving’ toy from fan Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys regularly receives gifts from fans that are shared during episodes of the OfflineTV podcast. Her latest gift, however, is something that she probably won’t get much use out of. Many streamers on Twitch have P.O. boxes where fans can send them various gifts where they’ll then open them on streams. Of course, by offering this, streamers are opening themselves up to receiving ‘troll’ gifts or things that the streamer would have little to no use for. This recently happened to Pokimane. Pokimane received a “hog squeezing” toy During an episode of the OfflineTV Podcast, the guests were all opening gifts and Pokimane received a very interesting one. She at first thought it was a stress toy before she was informed by the others that it was for “hog squeezing” and not what she originally thought. HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!! this is the one real thing today: our fan mail unboxing video LOL we got a hog squeezing toy…?? ft.@pokimanelol@LilyPichu@scarra@DisguisedToast@THEalbertchang@yvonnieng Watch here :arrow_right: https://t.co/h3JAdaU0t2 pic.twitter.com/il4qiRPXXT — OfflineTV (@offlineTVgg) April 1, 2019 “It’s a pig stress toy,” she said before being told what it really was. “I feel like this might be a better toy for you,” she told Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Lee as she handed it over to him. In all likelihood, this probably isn’t even the weirdest thing Pokimane has received as a gift and she seemed to play it off pretty well. It does make for a good April Fool’s Day gift but not for much else, especially for a female streamer. She got serious during a more recent episode of the OfflineTV Podcast During a previous episode of the OfflineTV Podcast, Pokimane spoke on why she thinks some Twitch streamers don’t filter the toxicity out of their chats. “I feel like people don’t like filtering their viewers because they don’t want to lose viewers,” Pokimane said of the issue. “…they realize that the more selective you are with your community, the smaller your community has to be to some extent, and the harder it can be to grow.” That’s certainly a lot more serious than what was shown on the April Fool’s episode.

Pokimane gives advice for dealing with “a hating ass b**ches” online Twitch: PokimanePokimane’s recent TikTok video was all about not letting the haters get you down, with the streamer and content creator sharing that she is in a good place at the moment as well as offering up some advice to those who find themselves struggling to deal with online negativity. The content creator and influencer Imane Anys, better known as Pokimane online, has been subjected to her fair share of hate and trolling online. Poki constantly speaks out about the abuse she and her fellow female streamers experience in the male-dominated community of the gaming space. In a brand new TikTok, Pokimane offered up some advice for those who find themselves struggling with online trolls and receiving hate. If the TikTok is unable to load, you can access the video via the link here. “Recently I’ve been feeling the happiest and most confident that I’ve ever felt and it kinda just makes me love everything and everyone, like I’m popping M all the time it’s kind of weird.” Pokimane then went on to explain that her stance and opinions on trolls has changed because she is in better spirits and that, odds are, the people who are attacking others online are actually unhappy within themselves. Pokimane calls out online trolls and offers up advice “But it made me realize if you ever encounter a hating ass bitch their life is probably really really sad. And so instead of getting mad at them, in reality, we should pity them and wish them well because that’s the only way they’ll ever get better.” It is unclear if there is a specific person Pokimane is referring to during this video or an encounter she had recently. • Pokimane gets away with most insane Among Us vent kill – Dexerto

Pokimane gets away with most insane Among Us vent kill Instagram: pokimanelol / InnerSlothTwitch streamer Pokimane managed to achieve an unbelievably stealthy kill in Among Us, taking advantage of the light system to pick someone off in a room full of people and get off scot-free. [jwplayer mfcRpjb4] Since its unexpected explosion in popularity two years after its initial release, indie social deduction game Among Us has spread to just about every corner of the internet, with people even cosplaying the colorful spaceman sprites. The game has also had more or less every streamer and YouTuber participating in star-studded lobbies, from the likes of huge gamers like PewDiePie, creators such as Mr Beast, and American politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a.k.a. AOC taking part in an unprecedented stream. While initially, people were stumbling through the maps trying to figure out what was going on, hours of gameplay have meant that Among Us players’ wit is sharper than ever, and no crumbs can be left behind if you want to get away with a kill as the imposter. Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane managed to do just that in an October 29 video with creators such as the likes of LazarBeam and Callux, in a nail-biting moment that miraculously paid off. The game had only just begun, and Pokimane found out she was the imposter for the second time in a row. As the other imposter hit the lights and plunged the crewmates into darkness, the streamer hopped into a vent. She popped out in navigation, where about four other people were standing in close proximity. But thanks to the sabotage on the lights, Pokimane was able to quickly kill a nearby crewmate, and pop back into the vent unseen. Topic starts at 9:09 While at first it looked as though someone must have noticed, when the body was reported Pokimane was totally in the clear, celebrating with “Okay, I think that was a really good kill. I think.” She was certainly very pleased with the stealthy move, saying “that was probably one of the best first kills I’ve ever gotten, actually ever.” Her fellow players were clearly bamboozled with what had happened, and while there have been many sneaky kills in Among Us, Pokimane’s might just be the best.

  • Pokimane gets emotional as Minecraft pet is killed right in front of her – Dexerto

Pokimane gets emotional as Minecraft pet is killed right in front of her Pokimane, YouTube / MojangTwitch and YouTube star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left completely devastated after witnessing her beloved Minecraft cat killed right in front of her eyes. The content creator has risen to superstardom on the video-sharing platform, celebrating the achievement of four million subscribers on both Instagram and YouTube in October, and her most recent video uploaded to the latter might well have shocked a few of her fans. There’s no doubt that Pokimane is a great lover of Mojang’s sandbox game, and viewers are in exactly the same boat, with many of her Minecraft series videos eclipsing the half a million mark. But, it wasn’t all rosy during her October 14 episode. In fact, things got pretty brutal. Pokimane decided to team up with fellow internet personality Cameron ‘Fitz’ McKay, who has over 5 million subscribers of his own on YouTube, as the pair explored different parts of the world and showed viewers what they were creating together. After showing off an overly populated farm and some of their other structures, they decided to breed two of the cats and Pokimane was to keep the kitten. The cute new pet appeared on the screen and it seemed as if all was well, but the joy didn’t last long as a huge donation forced Fitz’s hand. He had previously said during the making of the video that if somebody donated a sum of $500, he would be open to killing her cat, but nobody could have expected it to be as brutal as it was when it eventually played out. Once the donation had been made, it was only a matter of time before the deed had to be done by Fitz, no matter how Poki was going to react. So, he picked his weapon of choice – lava. “What are you doing?” she asked, to which he responded: “Oh, I’m just experimenting.” After entering her house, the YouTuber destroyed blocks right next to the pet before placing lava inside and eventually knocked it into the hole, burning it alive in seconds and sparking an almighty scream from Pokimane. She hasn’t had the best luck with pets on Minecraft during the course of 2019, accidentally killing her dog on another occasion back in September, and now this cat has suffered the same fate. Who knows what tragedy will unfold next in the series.

  • Pokimane get angry at YouTube editor live on stream for stealing her clips – Dexerto

Pokimane get angry at YouTube editor live on stream for stealing her clips Popular Fortnite streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys challenged a YouTube editor live on stream for taking clips of her gameplay from Twitch and posting them to YouTube. Anys was hosting a new edition of her Dr. Poki show, where she sits down and talks to members of her community about problems they may have, or just generally chats to her audience. Pokimane quickly spotted a user in her Discord she had banned previously for promising to buy people subscriptions to her channel and failing to follow through on numerous occasions. While talking to him about this, she realized that the user was actually a YouTube editor who had taken her clips and uploaded them to his YouTube channel in an attempt to garner views. “I steal people’s content,” boasted the Pokimane fan. “I upload it for views.” Unfortunately for the user, Anys was not impressed by his statement, and immediately called him out for his actions, saying that it would be OK if he was editing a lot of different streamers together. “It takes a lot of time,” he responded to Pokimane, who was clearly getting irritated by his suggestions that it was difficult to upload her videos. “I’m so sorry that it takes you a lot of time to steal other people’s content,” she sarcastically responded. “I’m so sorry that it takes you so much time to go to the top clips on Fortnite and just right click and save them all. Then just put them all into Adobe Premiere and export it, I’m so sorry.” Pokimane concluded: “I’ll be taking down some of your videos. I just hope you stop doing this, and I hope you stop being a liar.” Recently, Pokimane was forced to fire back at YouTuber MMG after he claimed that people only watched her because they found her attractive, and was also involved in a bitter disagreement on Twitter with popular YouTuber and Drama Alert host Keemstar.

Pokimane gets animated into Family Guy and you need to see it Instagram/Pokimane/FoxHoly crap, Lois. Talk about a poggers moment. A YouTuber has inserted multiple Twitch streamers including Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys into Family Guy and the result is absolutely amazing. Family Guy is one of the longest-running adult cartoons on TV and is no stranger to celebrity cameos, but the show hasn’t fully capitalized on the popularity of streamers just yet. As fans wait for Family Guy to incorporate the rise of Twitch and YouTube influencers for real, YouTuber RubberRoss took it upon himself to hire a Peter Griffin impersonator and hire streamers to lend their voice talents for a series of cameos. Featuring the likes of Pokimane, SwaggerSouls, Alpharad, and even ScottTheWoz, these cameos are a must-watch for Family Guy fans. This is the worst video idea I’ve ever had. While none of the YouTubers in this video have long conversations with Peter, just seeing them interact with Peter and be animated into the hit Fox show is pretty incredible. “Holy crap, Pokimane. I’m a tier-3 sub,” Peter said when opening his door and greeting the Twitch star. “Hey Peter,” Anys replied, lending her voice for the cameo appearance as she showed up donning headphones and a streaming camera attached to the Griffin home. Sadly, that’s where her skit ended, but it’s easy to imagine all the possible scenarios that could further incorporate the popular Twitch star and the larger-than-life Peter. RubberRoss further explained on Twitter he and his team animated everything from scratch, which makes the whole skit even more impressive. Also @cinnoh did the establishing shot jingle and @DONDRRR did the redraw of the backgrounds. — RubberRoss (@RubberNinja) March 10, 2022 This isn’t the first time Pokimane has shown up in popular culture. Back in 2021, she had a cameo in the video game movie ‘Free Guy’, starring actor Ryan Reynolds. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Pokimane and where she crosses over next!

  • Pokimane freaks out after xQc eats his toenails on stream – Dexerto

Pokimane freaks out after xQc eats his toenails on stream Twitch: xQc, pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane couldn’t believe her eyes after watching fellow streamer xQc literally eat his own toenails during a live broadcast. Twitch is a haven for content of all sorts. On the purple streaming platform, users will find streamers broadcasting their travels abroad in real time, gamers showing off their latest wins, and even people cooking up a tasty meal in their kitchens. For Pokimane, though, her Twitch excursion ended in shock after she discovered one of her fellow broadcasters doing something quite unconventional on stream. xQc is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. Boasting over 11 million followers, he’s gotten quite used to speaking to an audience of tens of thousands of viewers at a time, so it’s safe to say he’s not really embarrassed about doing certain things on stream. One of these things is eating his own toenails. The Juicer has actually chewed on his toenails several times on stream — something that Pokimane became aware of during her own broadcast in late December 2022. Pokimane screams after watching xQc eat his own toenails To poke fun at him, Pokimane placed his stream on top of her own and looked up at him chewing off one of his big toenails with a concerned look on her face. “Be f*cking for real, xQc!” Pokimane shouted. However, her criticisms quickly turned to screams as xQc actually swallowed the nail. Of course, Poki’s fans couldn’t help but troll her due to her reaction, prompting her to explain in graphic detail what just happened. “He used his mouth to clip his toenail, and then he ripped the toenail off and ate it!” This is far from the first time Pokimane has jokingly ‘called out’ xQc for his behaviors; last month, Poki roasted her fellow broadcaster due to the state of his room, asking him if he knew how to do his laundry after he seemingly struggled with his washing machine during a past stream.

Pokimane has “funniest” interaction ever with 13-year-old Fortnite player Pokimane, YouTube / FreepikPopular Fortnite Duos – one of which led to the “funniest shit” she’d ever heard. Pokimane was in the middle of yet another Duos run when she ran into a young player, who tried to make her guess his age. After initially claiming he was nine, he revealed himself to be 13 years old – but that wasn’t the only shocker he’d be delivering during their game, by far. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s most popular female content creators, boasting over 3 million followers on the platform.600https://www.instagram.com/p/B1IUqH_lEIj/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The fan went on to claim that he was receiving tons of messages via the PlayStation Network due to playing with Pokimane while she was streaming – some of which allegedly contained questionable content. “One person told me to tell you that you’re thick,” the player said. “I’m like, no thank you.” “But you kinda just did it, you know?” Pokimane challenged. “No, I wasn’t telling you that you were thick – I was telling myself that I was thick,” the fan backtracked. (Timestamp: 3:40 for mobile viewers) That wasn’t the only hilarious moment to come out of their game, either: the fan even claimed that he was getting some offensive offers in his inbox while they played. “Somebody just said that I will give you $500 if you say the n-word on stream,” he continued. “I don’t want to say the n-word. I’m a Christian.” This statement caused Pokimane to laugh out loud, later admitting that it was “the funniest shit I’ve ever heard.” Pokimane’s interactions with young fans can turn out to be hilarious or inspiring – but sometimes, they get uncomfortable.600 This wouldn’t be the first time Pokimane has had hilarious interactions with young fans: in fact, the streamer had a humorous confrontation with a 15-year-old queue sniper in early April, who humbly admitted that he had, indeed, queue sniped her. • Pokimane freaks out after finally completing notoriously hard game – Dexerto

Pokimane freaks out after finally completing notoriously hard game Twitch: pokimane / Bennett FoddyTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has spent months trying to complete the notoriously difficult game Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and months on from her maiden attempt, she couldn’t contain her excitement when she finally managed to conquer it. Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a popular platformer game developed by Foddy himself, in which a man sits inside of a cauldron, and uses a sledgehammer to climb and fling himself over obstacles. Due to the game’s mechanics, the title is unsurprisingly extremely difficult and very infuriating, but that didn’t stop Pokimane from grinding her way through the game in the hopes of finally reaching the summit of the upward climb at some point. 600After streaming the game for over two hours on Sunday, September 15, Pokimane unknowingly found herself at the final hurdle in the game, a radio tower that sits on top of the mountain that players scale with their trusty hammer in hand. With some intense focus, the 23-year-old swung herself over the top of the red tower and watched in confusion as the man in the cauldron floated into the sky. “I dedicate this game to you,” a soft voice said as the variety streamer looked on in astonishment. “The ones who made it this far. I give it to you with all my love.” “Did I do it?” shrieked Pokimane, with her hands on her cheeks, before giving a yell of celebration. “I literally thought I would never beat this game!” “I’m really glad we didn’t look up any speed runs or tutorials, it feels so rewarding to have beat it on my own,” she continued. “I mean, with some tips and tricks from you all, but feels freaking great man. Feels great man! Pokimane has been taking on Getting Over It on her Twitch streams for months, regularly attempting to take the next step up the mountain. What makes the game so punishing though is how much it punishes mistakes, often sending players crashing down to the base for the smallest of errors. Thankfully, the streamer managed to do what few before her have done, and persevered despite the frustrating nature of the game to finally conquer one of gaming’s toughest challenges.

  • Pokimane freaks out after testing Michael Reeves’ insane surgery robot – Dexerto

Pokimane freaks out after testing Michael Reeves’ insane surgery robot YouTube/Michael ReevesYouTuber Michael Reeves crafted an ingenious, yet dangerous, surgery machine that left Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys stunned when asked to test out the device. Reeves, who is known for creating outlandish machines, built the code and body of his surgical robot from scratch – and even added in some VR hand-tracking to completely remove the need for a controller. “You just take the hand coordinates from this and pipe them into the surgery robot and bing, bang, boom,” he explained. While Michael could have waited for Amazon to deliver a scalpel to him, the YouTuber decided to up the ante with a huge kitchen knife he had laying around the house. “When you really think about it, scalpels are just sh*tty, smaller knives,” he realized. “So why don’t we just use bigger, better knives? Hello, we already have those.” The video’s tone then shifted to a hilariously-designed infomercial of sorts, with Reeves’ narration playing over stock footage of doctors and hospitals. “The future of surgical robotics is here!” he exclaimed over footage of himself playing with the robot, which had a knife attached to it. Dressed as a surgeon, Reeves showed off the power of his robot by having it dig into a pineapple as if it were a patient. The video took a dark turn, however, once Pokimane was asked to test out of the device on a dummy. (Timestamp 6:10 for mobile users) “We’ve made our machine so intuitive that anyone can do surgery with no prior training,” Reeves said as Anys walked into the makeshift operating room to perform a “usability test.” Mere moments after putting her hand out, the VR hand tracking software sent the knife flying towards the Twitch celebrity, causing her to scream in shock. As the test continued, Pokimane was asked to make a small incision right above the dummy’s ear and ended up stabbing the would-be patient, causing lots of “blood” to leak out of its head. The whole test definitely was a botched procedure, so while the robot does in fact work, it seems like it will need some more tests before it becomes a staple of health care systems worldwide. Nonetheless, it was a cool project and one that Reeves should absolutely keep perfecting in the weeks ahead.

  • Pokimane flustered by uncomfortable OfflineTV lie detector questions – Dexerto

Pokimane flustered by uncomfortable OfflineTV lie detector questions YouTube: OfflineTVA hilarious lie detector exam quickly turned uncomfortable when Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was asked personal questions about her streaming group OfflineTV. Pokimane is the top female streamer on Twitch as her laidback variety broadcasts have made her popular on the platform. She is also a media juggernaut with millions of followers across her YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. However, the streaming personality was left flustered when she took a lie detector test with her OfflineTV crew, and was asked if she would ever leave the group for a better offer. Pokimane takes lie detector test The OfflineTV crew decided to take a lie detector test for their February 5th episode, and each member took a turn in the hot seat while being asked questions. The Moroccan Canadian’s exam started out light, at first being asked if she loved her cat Mimi more than her friends. “I mean you can’t say friends as a whole. Like I wouldn’t kill you guys to save Mimi,” she explained before admitting she would save her cat over Fedmyster if both were hanging off a cliff. While stating no, the test giver said she was being untruthful. However when the streamer said “I wouldn’t say any of you guys are unattractive,” the test read her statement as a lie, causing everyone to break into laughter. Things got uncomfortable when Pokimane was asked if she would ever leave the collective if she got a better financial offer. “No,”she stated, however the group erupted when it was revealed to be a lie. Flustered, the Twitch star turned to her friends and said “It’s not about the money!” but then the man administering the test said “That’s a lie!” which caused the streamer to put her head in her hands. The streamer clarified, “It sucks because like I think it’s funny. But it’s also not true. And also people will give me s**t for it!” which also read as a lie. Ending her exam, the man declared, “She does think she is the best looking. And she will leave for more money.” (Timestamp 02:27 for mobile users.) It should be stated that the whole thing was in good fun and that in many countries, lie detector exams are not admissible in courts due to them being wildly inaccurate and unreliable. Pokimane forced to deny bizarre accusations of drug use on Twitch streams Twitch: PokimaneTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has been forced to deny accusations of her using drugs on-screen after some old stream clips made their way around social media. On January 12, OfflineTV star Pokimane was forced to end her Twitch stream after she was “hate raided” by Jidion. The newly partnered Twitch streamer had sent his community to her stream to spam “L+Ratio,” and they began messaging other viewers. As news surrounding the incident began spreading around social media, a Twitter user began a rumor that Pokimane used to do drugs on her stream. After the rumor gained some traction, Pokimane took to Twitter to deny the bizarre accusations. Pokimane denies accusations of drug use Since the initial incident with Jidion on stream, the OfflineTV co-founder has kept her Twitter profile private so new people could not attack her there. However, that hasn’t kept the streamer from addressing her fans. As rumors swirled around Twitter on January 14, Pokimane was forced to deny the accusations in a tweet. It reads: “I truly cannot believe I have to say this. But no, I don’t do coke or any drugs for that matter. I’ve never even done a drinking stream, y’all. “The Olympic level reach could get cold metals tbh.” The video clips that have been causing the new rumor on social media are from past videos and streams where the creator opened Japanese-based loot boxes. During one of her streams, she received Japanese sugar and put it into “lines.” This rumor and “hate raid” has come after Pokimane received a DMCA strike and ban on Twitch for watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on stream. In her first broadcast after returning from the ban, the streamer stated: “Just to be clear, I’m not surprised and I don’t think this is unfair.”

  • Pokimane floored at fan’s perfect Apex Legends finisher video of her – Dexerto

Pokimane floored at fan’s perfect Apex Legends finisher video of her Respawn Entertainment / Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left speechless after a small Twitch streamer dubbed an iconic clip from her channel over an Apex Legends finisher clip with perfect timing. Pokimane has had many iconic moments clipped and shipped across her Twitch career. Her reactions — whether they be of excitement or sadness — have captivated her fanbase for years. Now, the fans are giving back, using those exact same clips in creative ways to surprise, and even get a cheer, out of the streamer. During a casual Just Chatting stream on March 3, Pokimane was going through a bunch of clips sent in from her viewers when came along one from ‘MisterArther’ and his Apex stream. While she was interested, she questioned why it was called “pokiSmash,” however, she soon learned why. MisterArther was laying down the law in Apex, downing an enemy Pathfinder before using one of Lifeline’s finishers. That in itself isn’t amazing — nor does it have anything to do with Pokimane. While the finisher animation was playing out, the streamer perfectly lined up a clip of Poki punching her camera to go through with Lifeline’s knock-out blow. The clip blew Pokimane away. “Wait, what? Did he save that and then do it at the perfect time?” He indeed did, and that earned applause from the streamer. “Amazing — that is some good streaming, that is some incredible streaming. You know, I remember doing [the punch clip] just for it to be clippable,” she said with a grin from ear to ear. While the clip was short, it laid on the streamer’s mind for the rest of her stream, happy that someone found a creative use for her content months on. A viral clip like Pokimane’s punch could also make a neat addition into Apex Legends. While the streamer doesn’t play the game much, she is still one of the biggest personalities on Twitch. Pokimane already has an emote in Fortnite, but maybe this clip could inspire Respawn to do a similar collaboration with the Twitch star in Apex too.

  • Pokimane flees from two men after being harassed in public – Dexerto

Pokimane flees from two men after being harassed in public Twitch: pokimaneTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has issued a warning to her followers to “not be that guy” after a stranger shouted and harassed her while she was alone in a parking lot, causing her to fear for her safety and run away. As one of the most popular streamers in the world, Pokimane is used to being recognized and approached in public, usually by fans who just want a picture and to say hello. However, one encounter with strangers on February 10 left her shook up, and even caused her to run away from the two men as their yells became more sinister. “I was walking back to my friends (but was alone) in a parking lot when two guys started hollering at me,” Pokimane explained on her Instagram Story. “At first one of them sang ‘happy Valentine’s Day to you,’ I was like ‘uhh you too’.” However, things took a turn when one of them started to sing “you could be the milk to my cereal with that skirt.” Finally, one of the men sang loudly, “I wanna see what’s under that skirt… show me what’s under that skirt…”, and the streamer had heard enough, turning into a “track star” and running. Confirming that she was fine, Pokimane said, “please don’t be that guy. It pissed me off that he thought it was okay/funny to yell those things to me. Likely because I was alone. His friend didn’t say sh*t either.” She also thanked followers and friends for their messages, and said she just wanted to share because firstly it was “cringe,” but also to “spread some awareness that this happens a lot, please be kind and stay safe and look out for your friends.” Pokimane has been making headlines in 2022 already after she was also targeted for harassment on her stream, after now-banned streamer JiDion ‘raided’ her channel. But, the pair have since made up and even hung out.

Pokimane floored by 14-year-old fan’s mixtape Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” Anys was left dumbfounded after a young fan decided to show off his rapping skills in a Discord call during a December livestream. Imane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s biggest stars, known for her wacky Fortnite streams and hilarious interactions with fans. Many of these fans border on the younger side, providing some humorous moments during Duos games in Fortnite thanks to their naivete, which she usually uploads to her YouTube channel. Anys decided to take things a step further by speaking directly with her fans in her Discord channel during a December 27 broadcast, where encountered a 14-year-old boy who was having a few troubles with his love life. According to the fan, he’d asked out his crush at school ten times in the past month, who’d only said yes on the final query. However, his method of asking out the girl wasn’t via a text or a call — instead, he sent her a rap that he’d written, which Pokimane asked to listen to on stream. The teen even claimed he had a SoundCloud account, which he linked to Pokimane, who played the track for her audience. The streamer could barely keep a straight face as the rap played out, which included such gems as, “you just gotta be a star, yeah/or you’ll end up in a cheap car,” and, “truth is I’m pretty bad/add second grade math, yeah.” “Oh, did you say you like her at the end?” Anys asked after the song finished, her curiosity piqued. “Yeah,” the fan answered stoically. Pokimane burst out into laughter at the ridiculous ordeal, which marks one of the more unique fan interactions she’s experienced on her stream — a major feat, considering she’s been told jaw-dropping relationship drama and even received lewd comments from kids young enough to be in grade school. For now, it looks like the fan’s soul-baring rap is recorded for all eternity in the Twitch archives — although whether or not he’ll regret this decision in the future remains to be seen.

  • Pokimane fires back after YouTuber MMG makes harsh comment about why people watch her – Dexerto

Pokimane fires back after YouTuber MMG makes harsh comment about why people watch her Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has called out YouTuber Matthew ‘MMG’ Meagher for comments he made about the streamer in a video. Meagher recently made a ‘Smash or Pass’ video about YouTubers, and when the topic of Pokimane came up, stated that he “hates her” and felt she was popular because people find her attractive, not because she is talented. “It’s so obvious what she’s doing,” continued Meagher. “She’s not a titty streamer, you can’t put it that far. She’ll just pretend that she’s so oblivious to the fact that people watch her because she’s a hot girl, you know what’s happening here.” Pokimane was then sent this clip, and reacted to the video while streaming. Anys was not impressed with the YouTuber’s comments, calling him out for what she felt was a hypocritical stance regarding her content. Can I just say, this dude is hating on me because people are attracted to the way that I look, and I don’t always outwardly talk about that,” stated Pokimane. “Yet he is doing smash or pass content. He is literally talking about whether or not he would have sex with other girls who didn’t even ask him.” “How are you going to hate on me because people are attracted to me, yet you’re sitting here actually talking about whether or not you would bang random girls on the internet.” Pokimane is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch with over 2.3 million followers. She also has an impressive 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube. The popular content creator originally rose to fame while streaming League of Legends, but has seen huge success since making the switch to Fortnite Battle Royale. Meagher has yet to comment on Pokimane’s reaction to his video, refraining from posting anything about the situation on YouTube or his social media accounts.

  • Pokimane’s first “tattoo” isn’t what you’d expect – Dexerto

Pokimane’s first “tattoo” isn’t what you’d expect Pokimane, YouTube / FreepikPopular streamer and internet personality Imane “Pokimane” Anys has a massive online audience, boasting over three million followers on both Twitch and YouTube – a platform where she decided to share her first-ever “tattoo.” While social media star Logan Paul decided to get inked up with Pokemon’s Squirtle for his first tattoo, Pokimane decided to take a different route, getting her brows “microbladed” rather than having a massive mural inked on her back. “Microblading” is defined as a tattooing process that uses a handheld tool made of numerous tiny needles that add pigment to the skin, commonly used to shape and define the eyebrows. 700While microblading is considered only semi-permanent, it still falls under the realm of tattooing – and Pokimane decided to go under the blade for her first-ever inking experience. The Twitch star documented the process in her “Summer Vlog” YouTube video, where she described the healing process as “not as bad as I thought it would be.” 500https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T87fDgw_KNADespite being paranoid that she would “bleed everywhere,” the ordeal turned out to be a relative success, with Anys praising the salon toward the end of her vlog. “It’s just so nice,” Pokimane said of the procedure. “It’s just easier in the morning to get everything done when your brows are already kinda done. …I thought my eyebrows were gonna look Sharpied on, but… it wasn’t too bad.” Although Pokimane’s first “tattoo” was fairly tame, other top YouTubers have gone under the gun multiple times, with makeup mogul Jeffree Star being famously covered with massive portraits of celebrities from head to toe. Even YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg boasts multiple tattoos, featuring works from some of his favorite artists that, while simplistic, wowed tattoo artists with their spartan charm. Team 10’s Jake Paul also boasts a massive piece on his left shoulder – although his latest tattoo is a matching set of tally marks, which he got with wife Tana Mongeau to count the number of weeks they’d been dating. While Pokimane is generally known for her humorous interactions with fans and the hilarious moments that occur during her streams, her vlogs allow fans a deeper look into her daily life – including getting her new “tattoos.”

  • Pokimane felt “alone and scared” after legal threat from Jessica Blevins – Dexerto

Pokimane felt “alone and scared” after legal threat from Jessica Blevins YouTube: Pokimane / Instagram: jessicablevins / Red Bull EsportsTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys revealed what led her to share threats of legal action sent to her by streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ manager, Jessica Blevins, claiming she felt “alone and scared.” Pokimane is currently at the epicenter of ongoing internet drama as the Twitch streamer fights back against fellow broadcasting star Ninja. Pokimane vs Ninja drama explained The kerfuffle began after Imane became the victim of a hate raid orchestrated by a streamer named Jidion, who sent his followers into her chat to harass both herself and her viewers. After suddenly ending her broadcast to avoid further damage, other streamers came out en masse to support Pokimane amid the ongoing hate and harassment from Jidion’s fans and other critics. Jidion was then permanently banned from Twitch. At one point during the proceedings, Jidion ended up in a stream with Ninja — once Twitch’s biggest streamer and still a major name in the streaming game. During this broadcast, Ninja advised Jidion against “ratio[ing] b***hes,” and even appeared to text his Twitch representative as a means to purportedly reinstate Jidion on the streaming platform. Pokimane then called out Ninja during a live broadcast. Afterward, she shared an alleged DM from Ninja’s manager and wife, Jessica Blevins, who claimed that they are “considering everything defamation of character and are getting our legal team involved.” That’s not all; Pokimane also allegedly received a message from Ninja, who denied any accusations of actually texting his representative and claimed Pokimane was “making a big mistake.” Ninja just dm’d Pokimane this… “”you are making a big mistake”” pic.twitter.com/cWTVYtHfI9 — Jake Lucky (@JakeSucky) January 17, 2022 Pokimane reveals why she shared legal threats from Jessica Blevins After making these messages public on Twitter, Anys appeared in a stream with Twitch star Mizkif, revealing why she decided to open up about Blevins’ threats of legal action. “When I was getting these DMs from Jessica and from Ninja, and even the DMs about legal action — when I keep that stuff to myself, it makes me feel like I’m carrying this massive weight, and burden, and stress, and anxiety on my own,” she explained. “Being able to talk about it publicly and having you guys talk about it and support me however you can, it alleviates my stress so much. It makes me feel not alone and scared, which is how I for sure feel every time I read s**t like that in my DMs,” she added. Mizkif went on to defend Pokimane, claiming that she is “in the right” and dubbing Blevins’ message a “threat.” Ninja claims that he spoke with Jidion after their stream and warned him against harassing a streamer and their viewers, calling him a “massive troll” who’s intentions weren’t to tell his viewers to “go hate on” Pokimane. the only time ninja spoke about the jidion situation, he said this: pic.twitter.com/RmNECoMdqR — imane 💜 (@imane) January 18, 2022 Neither Ninja nor Jessica Blevins have yet to release an official statement regarding their legal stance on the subject at the time of writing.

  • Pokimane fires back after haters criticize her parents’ retirement fund announcement – Dexerto

Pokimane fires back after haters criticize her parents’ retirement fund announcement Instagram: PokimanePokimane has hit back against those who attacked her online after she posted a tweet about how she has now paid for her parent’s retirement fund. The popular content creator faced attacks and rude comments online in response to a tweet she posted detailing how she has now paid off her parents’ retirement fund and plan. In the initial post, Pokimane wrote how grateful she is to be able to give back to her parents. “As an immigrant, I’ve always felt indebted to them,” began Pokimane. “Now, nothing makes me happier than repaying them for their sacrifices.” However, the comments section of the tweet is filled with negative responses, some simply replying with comments like “no one cares” or others accusing her of only making the post so as a way to get clout for being a “good person.” Shortly after this barrage of comments, Pokimane issued another series of tweets in response to the reception of her comments. Beginning the thread by calling out the “ignorant” replies, adding that she will now be doing “a lil educating” in response to the negativity. “I was born in Morocco, a third-world country, and my amazing parents immigrated to Canada when I was four,” writes Pokimane. “I grew up being painfully aware of how much they missed their parents, siblings, friends, back in Morocco…but, they were always so happy that their sacrifices allowed my brother and I to get a great education & pursue whatever we wanted.” She then adds, “if I didn’t grow up in Canada, I wouldn’t have had the same access to internet, peripherals, etc, that allowed me to become the [content creator] I am today.”

  • Pokimane explains her biggest fear about taking breaks on Twitch – Dexerto

Pokimane explains her biggest fear about taking breaks on Twitch YouTube: PokimaneAfter thinking about the “intensive” nature of being a streamer, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys realized that the “fear of falling off” pressures her into streaming sometimes, and she wants to change that. Twitch stars like Pokimane are lucky to make a comfortable living doing what they love. However, it still requires a lot of time and commitment, which can take a toll on the individual, especially if they’re feeling burnt out. Poki enjoyed some time off recently. But it got her thinking about the culture of streaming and how intensive it is, as well as her own struggles to find a healthy work-life balance, and she admitted it could lead to some changes. When talking about what it’s like to take time off, she said, “There is always a little bit of that sentiment of like, should I stream? I’m playing games off-stream, so should I stream that?” And it gets worse when other streamers go live because she wonders if she should take advantage and join them. “It is just so hard to properly enjoy your time off without thinking that you should or could be doing more, especially with streaming,” she added. “It’s the one thing where there are just about no diminishing returns if you can stream 20 hours a day, every single day.” Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren’s record-breaking subathon is a testament to that. But while that level of commitment is “good for your channel,” she conceded it’s not good for the streamer. “Is it what you’re going to be happy about on your deathbed years from now? Probably not.” In the end, Poki concluded that “viewership isn’t the end-all-be-all of a good life” and admitted she and other streamers often fall victim to “fear of falling off” and the “desire for more.” And from now on, she wants to change that, which could mean more breaks. Poki’s community is known for supporting her through thick and thin. So, if she does end up deciding to change her schedule to improve her work-life balance, they’ll understand. And perhaps other streamers will follow suit, too. In the meantime, it’s still business as usual for Twitch’s most popular female streamer. At least until she makes a further announcement. But don’t be surprised if you start seeing her stream less frequently than usual.

  • Pokimane reveals how she fell for $24k scam by her YouTube manager – Dexerto

Pokimane reveals how she fell for $24k scam by her YouTube manager Twitch: PokimanePopular Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed how she fell for a $24k scam staged by her former YouTube video manager, and how she eventually dealt with the issue after she realized what was happening. The Moroccan-Canadian streamer revealed to her Twitch fans she was once dealt a hefty $24,000 blow thanks to a “stupid scam” by her ex-YouTube manager. In late 2019, the rising Twitch star assembled a team of YouTube editors to manage uploading her videos. Alongside two producers, Pokimane signed up an unknown manager after he “wrote up multiple pages of a big proposal” that she admits she was convinced by. Three months later, Pokimane was down $24k. “This guy wrote me MLA-formatted paragraphs, these promises,” she said. “It was the most convincing stuff ever, but I just ended up being his sugar momma.” Anys revealed on-stream on Nov. 24 she still struggles to really trust new additions to her streaming team, whether it be editors, mods, managers, or behind-the-scenes admins, due to her original YouTuber manager’s scam. The incident, which happened back in late 2019, saw Pokimane payout three months of wages to this “promising guy,” with the Twitch streamer assuming he was organizing things behind the scenes. Soon after he “joined the team,” however, her YouTube uploads slowed down, before stopping entirely. “He gave me like $200 worth of value, I ain’t joking,” she admitted. “This was a relationship where it took me ages to realize that I was actually just getting played. He was so good at writing all these excuses and reasons.” “When I found out, I was ruthless, on god,” the streamer continued. “I went to him and demanded to know why we hadn’t uploaded any videos, and he sent me five paragraphs that told me he had been doing this and that.” Pokimane then tried to show her Twitch fans his original proposal documents, but soon discovered they’d been locked or erased completely. “They were so convincing I didn’t even give him a trial,” she said. “Every now and then he’d tell me he was doing things, like a Hot Ones-type show. But really he was just making me think he was doing things, but he wasn’t. It came down to, dude, I’m giving you $8,000 a month, do the work!” “Then, in the second month, he went MIA for a full week. He said a family member had been sick, and I just had to believe him. I couldn’t prove he was really lying.” In the end, the 25-year-old decided to become “stone-cold” in their meetings. She didn’t end up sacking him until she had spent a grand total of $24,000 for him to do “absolutely nothing,” however. The Twitch star laughed at her mistake. “Dead-ass, I was just his sugar momma for like a quarter of a year!” Pokimane added that, in a way, she’s thankful the manager — who she refused to name — pulled the stunt. Now she is “far more careful” with her business dealings. That lesson would have helped recently too; earlier this month, Pokimane unveiled her own company, a talent management and brand consulting firm.

Pokimane fans volunteer to help as Twitch streamer says she ‘wants a kid’ Twitch/PokimaneTwitch icon Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is getting no shortage of volunteers after claiming that she was considering having a child. Pokimane has made a massive name for herself in the streaming world accumulating millions of followers across a variety of platforms. When the streamer revealed that she was thinking of getting another cat, dog, or even kid, the internet was right there to offer their services. Unfortunately for fans wanting to make a baby with the Moroccan-Canadian, Pokimane was quick to shut down their advances. Pokimane shuts down viewers trying to “make a baby” with her On a September 20 post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Pokimane posted a cryptic message that drew many responses. “Kinda want another cat.. or a dog.. or a kid,” she wrote accompanied by a thinking emoji. In no time, the internet moved in, offering to help the Twitch star by saying she could adopt them or even get her pregnant. One user replied, “I have a cat, and can help with making the kid” resulting in a pretty brutal roast by the streamer who wasn’t having any of it. “Thank you but I don’t need help, I plan to reproduce asexually,” she joked. Another viewer stepped in, claiming that they could fill all three voids missing from Poki’s life. “I can be a child, cat & dog all at once. I play League of Legends,” they remarked. Once again, Pokimane shut down the offer. “You had me til the League of Legends,” she clapped back. It’s not clear if Pokimane actually plans to have a child or get a new pet, but this isn’t the first time she’s commented about being a mother. Back in 2021, she sparked some backlash after joking about stealing a child while discussing how cute babies are.

Pokimane fans left worried after Twitch star admits she’s ready to “give up” Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys worried fans after admitting she was ready to “give up” amid recent struggles with being “burnt out,” but thanks to their kind words and support, she’s a little more optimistic moving forward. Pokimane has been open about struggling to find a healthy work-life balance in 2021, claiming that it’s hard to properly enjoy her time off without thinking she should or could be doing more, especially with streaming. It’s gotten to the point where she admitted to feeling “burnt out” and decided that it’s “time for a change,” although she hasn’t figured out what that is just yet. Still, it has taken a toll on her to the point where she feels ready to “give up.” “This has been a week of constant disappointments, and as someone who prides themself on being perpetually optimistic, I must admit: I give up,” she said, presumably referring to the ongoing work-life balance issues. Naturally, the concerning nature of the tweet drew a lot of attention. Thousands of fans liked it to express their support, while hundreds left comments to cheer her up and offer words of encouragement and endearment. appreciate the kind words, friends!! ❤️ i’ll be okay, i just need to re-prioritize my life and figure some things out. i’ll do my best, just like i’d want u all to in tough times as well 😊 — imane 💜 (@imane) August 19, 2021 And it seems like it struck a chord with her and helped lift her out of the slump, if only for a moment. “Appreciate the kind words, friends!” she said. So, it’s nice to know that they’ve got her back, too. Even though it would pain them to see her take another mental health break, they’ll support her decision if it comes to that. • Pokimane fans freak out after streamer shows off new “tattoos” on Twitch – Dexerto

Pokimane fans freak out after streamer shows off new “tattoos” on Twitch Twitch: PokimanePopular Twitch streamer Pokimane showed off her shocking new “ink” during a recent broadcast, completely freaking out her fanbase in the process. It’s safe to say that Pokimane is a fashion-forward influencer. The streamer, who boasts over 8.3 million followers on Twitch and is one of the site’s most popular broadcasters, often shares her outfits of the day and wears coordinated fits on stream almost all the time. That being said, she’s never been one for an “edgy” style… that is, until recently, when she debuted a sleeve full of tattoos for her audience of millions. On October 11, Pokimane started her stream wearing a simple black tank top, showing her arms covered in what, at first glance, looked like a ton of tattoos. However, it turns out that Pokimane’s new ink isn’t the real deal. Instead, the body art appears to be a bunch of temporary tattoos, which are usually applied with a warm compress and come off with a bit of dedicated scrubbing. Her Twitch chat instantly exploded with all manner of reactions, with fans speculating whether or not the tats were real. Pokimane left the possibility up in the air, simply saying, “I mean, are they real? Do they look real? If they look real, isn’t that all that matters?” While the tattoos might be fake, fans’ love for her new alternative style is certainly not. Pokimane also shared some pics of her look to Twitter, where plenty of viewers professed their love for her edgy phase. “Can I save this tweet so I can show Santa what I want for Christmas?” TikTok star Bella Poarch commented. Can I save this tweet so I can show santa what I want for christmas? — Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch) October 10, 2021 “I’m frothing at the mouth, I’m gonna hug you so tight when I see you,” fellow streamer TinaKitten joked. im frothing at the mouth im gonna hug u so tight when i see u — tina 😀 (@TinaKitten) October 10, 2021 “Please tell me this is real,” a fan hoped in the replies. Considering the positive response her new style has garnered, there’s no telling if Pokimane will start experimenting with different looks more often in future broadcasts — but we can say that fans will more than likely love it. As for whether or not Pokimane has any legit tattoos, we can’t say for certain… although she did get her eyebrows microbladed in the past, if that counts.

  • Pokimane fans are convinced she just revealed secret boyfriend on Twitch stream – Dexerto

Pokimane fans are convinced she just revealed secret boyfriend on Twitch stream Twitch: PokimaneTwitch fans are losing their minds over a mystery man who appeared midway through Pokimane’s December 30 stream, with many claiming the fella — “Kevin” — must be the star streamer’s secret boyfriend. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys may have just casually unveiled her secret boyfriend, blindsiding fans with a mysterious man named Kevin on her December 30 stream. Pokimane’s relationship status has long been a point of conjecture for her fandom. The Twitch superstar has remained relatively tight-lipped on the whole subject, outside a “single btw” tweet last March that broke the internet. She’s even jokingly suggested she’d date a Twitch fan if the chance arose. Largely, however, Pokimane keeps her dating life under wraps. That is until Dec. 30, when “Kevin” stepped onto the scene. Now fans are convinced Pokimane just revealed her secret boyfriend and they’re losing their minds. Pokimane reveals mystery man Kevin Anys blacked out her stream for a moment after an hour live, and when she returned Kevin was sitting beside her, casually drinking a coffee and listening to music. “This is crazy,” Kevin — who the internet knows very little about — said as Pokimane’s viewer-loaded Twitch chat flew into high gear. “Yo, it’s OUR boyfriend,” one wrote and another said the pair were “perfect together.” The mystery man then said: “Dating or siblings?” While the two didn’t come out and say anything regarding a relationship or why they were streaming together, the popular star’s massive fandom is all but convinced the duo are dating, especially as their “huge chemistry” became more and more apparent across their two hours live. “I’m just one random dude that happened to be on the stream one time,” Kevin said after watching Twitch chat for a time. “Thanks for the welcome, I feel so loved.” Will Anys announce relationship? Pokimane and Kevin may have had undeniable chemistry and bounced off each other seamlessly during their Twitch stream, but that doesn’t necessarily suggest they’re dating or anything more than friends. Don’t expect Anys to confirm either way though. “I made the decision when I got into streaming that I don’t want my personal life to be part of my content,” she told fans. “That’s what I’m going to stick by until I or whoever I’m dating decides otherwise. If I have a relationship, I want it to be between me and that person, and not a million people.” Pokimane clocked in as Twitch’s third-biggest female streamer across the year, falling behind the site’s stream-queen Amouranth and her non-stop broadcasts.

Pokimane fan asks her to prom using PowerPoint presentation Twitch: pokimaneOne dedicated Pokimane fan invited the Twitch streamer to his winter formal dance — and even created an entire PowerPoint presentation to win her over. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular streamers and one of the platform’s most followed female content creators. As such, she’s garnered quite a big fanbase for herself, and will occasionally meet with viewers at events or even while traveling abroad. However, one particular fan took things to the next level by asking her to his prom using a seriously creative method. Fan asks Pokimane to prom with PowerPoint presentation Recently, the OfflineTV crew held an IRL meet and greet popup event from December 4 – 5 in Los Angeles, California. While Pokimane was included in the proceedings, the streamer had left the venue for an undetermined amount of time when a superfan came up to the OTV team with his master plan to get Pokimane to come to his prom. The lad — decked out in a full suit and bowtie — even created an entire PowerPoint presentation to convince her to go, which Poki showed off during a recent Twitch broadcast. “I’m studious,” he can be heard saying as Anys played a video clip of his presentation for her viewers. “I do all my work on time.” The streamer was clearly amused by the student’s determination, saying that she “loved the dedication,” but ultimately turned him down. “I appreciate that, but you’re likely in high school, and that’s illegal,” she said. “I’m in my twenties. I think that would be inappropriate and weird. But I hope you study hard and land a great, six-figure job!” Although she declined his offer, she did admit that the gesture was “very cute,” and “very funny.” This isn’t the first time an overzealous fan has approached Pokimane in such a way; in 2019, the streamer was asked out by a fan at TwitchCon, who handed her a classic “Yes / No” note. Unfortunately for him, Pokimane gave a firm rejection, saying: “Don’t ask people out at TwitchCon.” Although Poki claimed she’s open to the idea of dating a fan in the future, it doesn’t look like any of these guys fit her criteria.

One user said, ” This is just weird bro.” Another added, “Oh my dear God, this has to be trolling.” Another asked Conor why he decided to get the tattoo in the first place. He responded, “Well personally I like portrait tattoos, I really like TV show characters and such and I have 3 other people on my other arm. “Poki is just another person that I really like that’s why I picked her as one of the portraits for my sleeve, the plan is to get Daenerys from Game of Thrones behind this one, and Valkyrae on my forearm.” Although not everyone liked the tattoo, it’s clear Conor is happy with his choice.

Pokimane exposes industry pro for faking romantic relationship with her Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane claimed that a professional in the streaming industry faked a romantic relationship with her in order to “target and manipulate” women in her community. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch, on top of being the site’s 10th most-followed broadcaster, overall. Throughout her career as an online entertainer, Pokimane has been relatively transparent with her fanbase regarding issues she faces in her personal and public life, such as when a stalker discovered her home address. In a livestream on March 1, 2023, Anys opened up to fans about a “well-networked” professional in the streaming industry who had allegedly faked a romantic relationship with her in order to get close to women in her community. Pokimane says industry pro faked romantic relationship with her “Someone that I and many streamers have been working with for years, someone who was also employed at a large company in the industry, has targeted and manipulated girls, specifically in my community, by falsifying a romantic and sexual relationship with me,” she explained. Pokimane went on to claim that the individual leaked “privileged information he gathered from his job” and “threatened to harm himself” if the targeted girls ever came forward. According to Anys, the person was “well-networked in the industry” and “knows many streamers.” “A few months ago, a few girls in my community came forward to me with some concerns and asked to speak with my manager,” Pokimane continued. “They proceeded to send my manager countless screenshots and videos of their conversations with him, proving the lying and manipulation that was going on.” Anys said that the person would approach girls in her community and tell them he struggled with mental health issues to gain their trust before sending fabricated conversations between himself and her. He would then allegedly send faked explicit photos of Anys in the hopes of receiving such images from the women in her community with whom he was speaking. “He acted like he knew and hung out with me and my friends in person,” she explained. “This is someone I’ve never met…It is truly some of the most disgusting and deplorable behavior I’ve ever heard of.” Anys went on to state that the person has since been fired after an investigation was conducted into their behavior. “Even now, it frightens me to think about what he might do next,” she admitted. “…if these girls didn’t end up talking to each other and piecing together the fact that he was lying, I don’t know what could have happened.”

Pokimane was in a video call with the streamer when they got onto the topic of whether she finds him creepy or not. “I don’t think you’re creepy in general,” she starts, before going into more detail. “Except for that one time that you were like, staying in LA, and I came home and you were already in my room, and you were like, ruffling through one of my drawers. That was a little bit weird, but aside from that…” “Dude! That was one time, dude! Are you kidding me?!” Greekgodx stated, obviously not a fan of her accusation. “I did it one time!” he replied, unaware of why looking through a girl’s drawer without permission is weird, regardless of intent. “I mean, yeah, but you still did it!” Pokimane argued. “The amount of times that you did it doesn’t… you know?” The streamer then tried to justify his actions, saying she’d got the wrong idea. “Yeah, but I wasn’t ruffling through your clothes. Like, I was looking for batteries to fit in the controller because the… You know what, you’re being weird-“ Pokimane then cuts him off a final time, asking, “Why were you looking in my underwear drawer for batteries?” Someone even made a sex tape parody of the pair The two streamers have been part of a running joke for a while that claims they’re romantically involved with each other, and YouTuber ‘slywolf’ took it to the next level by creating a weird Game of Thrones sex parody video. Their faces were imposed onto Jaime and Cersei Lannister as they reenacted THAT sex scene in the first ever episode of the show. Both Pokimane and Greekgodx thought the video was hilarious, although she did claim it was “gross” and “nasty” but still took it in good faith.

  • Pokimane exposes ‘gross’ Twitch messages from banned fans: “Please just stop” – Dexerto

Pokimane exposes ‘gross’ Twitch messages from banned fans: “Please just stop” Twitch: PokimanePokimane exposed ‘gross’ Twitch messages from banned fans in a YouTube video, and although she laughed them off, it shows the kind of shocking messages the streaming star often receives. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the biggest female streamer on Twitch. But unfortunately, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Just recently, she’s had to deal with fans pestering about her relationship status, people hating on her Valorant skills, and claims she has a ‘fake persona.’ But that pales in comparison to more serious issues, like the fact she’s received hundreds of death threats and often receives ‘gross’ messages. Last month, she uploaded a video that revealed some of those messages. Now she’s done it again, and this time, it’s completely “unfiltered.” The messages are shocking and appalling, and although she laughs them off, it shows people a small part of what she has to deal with as a Twitch star. “Prior to looking at unbanned forms, I have my mods go through them and kind of remove the ones that are really bad. But today, I’m going to YOLO and just show you guys everything,” she said. The first viewer she mentions was banned for asking, “can you pop a t*t for the boys?” It was somehow less crude than the second viewer, who said, “big t*tty b*tch, bend over” multiple times. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The vulgar messages procedurally get worse. They include everything from “turn around and bend over” and “I wanna lick your b***hole hairs” to “how far can you squirt?” Apparently, language barriers aren’t even an issue. A Danish viewer wrote, “you naughty wh*re, I may well f*ck you” and “you are so f**king delicious” in his own language, which she had to translate. Pokimane admitted the messages are ‘frustrating’ and ‘irritating,’ and they’re definitely not okay. However, she chose to laugh at them this time around, which inadvertently still raises awareness. “In the past, it was just me reading this day in and day out. But at least now, I can turn it into content, and we can all laugh a little bit. So, at least I finally get something out of it,” she said. “The bottom line is… please just stop. I’m going to keep banning you,” she continued. “Some of these really gross me out, and I don’t want to have to read these when I’m trying to play games with my fans. Thankfully my mods delete these most of the time.” Interestingly, Pokimane seemed to soften her ‘zero-tolerance stance.’ “I need to deny [the unban requests], but that doesn’t mean you can’t change [and] that doesn’t mean you can’t chat in my stream. It just means you’re going to need to make a new account,” she said. But even though she’s giving guilty fans a second chance, others believe it’s an issue that needs to be addressed once and for all.

  • Pokimane catches out “down bad” Twitch fan in hilarious viral TikTok messages – Dexerto

Pokimane catches out “down bad” Twitch fan in hilarious viral TikTok messages Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys deals with confessions of love from her Twitch fanbase on a daily basis. One fan went viral though after his hilarious Instagram DMs with the streaming star leaked, showing off just how “down bad” some people are. As far as Twitch relationships go, Pokimane is near the top of a list of a lot of fans. It’s evolved into somewhat of a meme, but there’s still hundreds, if not thousands, of Tier 3 subs gunning for a deeper relationship with the Twitch star. While the vast majority of thirsty messages get left on read, one poor fan had their “down bad” DMs with the Twitch star exposed in a now-viral TikTok. User ‘knockoffvaseline’ sent a pretty lengthy declaration to Pokimane on June 15, professing their love to the Twitch star. “I’m kinda hoping that you won’t see this. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you so much, you have done so much for me and you don’t even know it,” their message said. “You were there when nobody else was, you were there when nobody else cared. And I was not in a great place before I found you, and I’m still not really in a great place now. But you wanna make me keep going.” “I know that you are a person and you have feelings so if it ever gets too much for you please just set back for a bit. Nobody will be made. Okay now I sound kinda stupid but anyways the point is, I wanted to say thank you and I love you.” However, they blew their cover in an awkward August 10 message, replying to one of Pokimane’s stories with “I’m pooping”. That got the Twitch star’s attention, and knockoffvaseline was left red-faced. “The contrast between your two messages hahaha. Much love,” Pokimane replied. All they could say back was “oops”, but now Pokimane had definitely seen their hand, and the embarrassing moment has since gone viral with nearly 10,000 likes on TikTok at the time of publishing. For this Twitch fan, it’s unlikely that Pokimane would take up their offer of love. However, she isn’t necessarily against looking for a relationship in her chat — so keep shooting your shot.

  • Pokimane exposes “frightening” influencer scam trying to get nude photos – Dexerto

Pokimane exposes “frightening” influencer scam trying to get nude photos YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane revealed how she was nearly a victim of blackmail after discovering a very elaborate and convincing scam. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch — and one of the most Googled Twitch streamers in the United States. The influencer has collaborated with numerous companies in the past, and often shares her favorite brands with fans in her vlogs. However, she was almost the victim of a scam after nearly falling for an email pretending to be one of the brands she’d spoken about in a recent video. The streamer opened up about the terrifying incident in a November 9 TikTok clip, where she claimed that someone pretending to be from a lingerie and loungewear company, Neiwai, had reached out to her via email for a possible collaboration. Pokimane warns fans on TikTok about influencer scam: “I was almost blackmailed” In the email, the company purportedly asked Anys for her measurements so they could send her items from their ‘new collection’ — but luckily, the streamer quickly realized they actually wanted a photo of her “bare chest.” “I realized that they weren’t showing me how to take my measurements,” the streamer said. “They were asking me to put a tape measure around me and send me a photo of my bare chest.” Pokimane went on to describe how realistic the email thread was, noting that the scammer had fabricated multiple email accounts using the company name to seem legitimate, and even created an entire PowerPoint to make it look like the real deal. Anys urged her viewers to be cautious about giving out their information to possible scammers, asking fans to have any products sent to a PO Box instead of their home address. “The amount of effort they put in is both comical and frightening,” she continued. “I don’t even wanna think about what they would have done if I had actually sent them anything.” Users are speaking out in support of Anys in the comments section, wary of any new emails coming their way from possible scammers. Pokimane is just the latest influencer to open up about being scammed after Twitch star QTCinderella revealed her own run-in with traffickers who pretended to be from the IRS.

  • Pokimane predicts that Valorant will be the “Overwatch killer” – Dexerto

Pokimane predicts that Valorant will be the “Overwatch killer” Pokimane (Twitch) / Riot Games / BlizzardPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has tipped Riot Games’ Valorant to be the title that dethrones Overwatch from the top of character-based shooters. Riot Games’ venture into the tactical shooter genre has plenty within the esports domain eagerly anticipating their upcoming release. Valorant’s gameplay revolves largely around its extensive roster of Agents, who each have their own ability set — which will ultimately play a large role in the outcome each round. Based on early alpha gameplay and teaser trailers, many have hailed Valorant to be the perfect blend of CS:GO and Overwatch. However, it’s Blizzard’s team-based shooter that Pokimane believes is vulnerable to Valorant’s imminent threat. Talking on the Episode 11 of the Offline TV Podcast, the gang started toing and froing with Team SoloMid streamer, Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, about Valorant and what the meta of the game will look like on release. After drawing comparisons to Blizzard’s Overwatch, Anys stated: “I think it might be the Overwatch killer,” to which William ‘Scarra’ Li sarcastically responded, asking: “Do you think there needs to be a game for that to happen?” Segment starts at 12:00 for mobile users. Pokimane continued to discuss Overwatch’s slump from where it was a few years back. “The more I think about it, and I think about Overwatch’s decline, this is just going to be the last nail in the coffin really.” Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang edged in with how Overwatch’s competitive league’s setup was ruined by Activision Blizzard. “Overwatch kind of just ruined their competitive league, with just how it was set up,” Wang opened. “You have to fly to places to play and they inflate their numbers, and then they sell it to sponsors, then the sponsors are like, ‘wait something’s not adding up.’” Of course, the popular Facebook streamer was referring to the franchised Overwatch League, where teams have been trying a home and away format for the first time — which has taken a backseat with the imminent threat of the coronavirus outbreak. Pokimane’s argument of Valorant being the “Overwatch killer” is a logical argument, considering both titles share so many similarities. However, with Riot’s character-based shooter not even released yet, only time will tell whether her opinion prevails to be right.

  • Pokimane explains why she wants to be a ‘faceless’ content creator – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she wants to be a ‘faceless’ content creator Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys admitted that if she could start her Twitch career all over again from scratch, she’d be a faceless content creator because it would allow her to preserve her identity. Poki is a household name for anyone familiar with the streaming scene. She is one of the most-followed streamers on Twitch, and her popularity even saw her get handpicked for a cameo in the blockbuster hit Free Guy. However, her meteoric rise to success hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. Not only has it taken a toll on her mental health and well-being throughout the years, but it’s also put her on a collision course with haters and stalkers. Fortunately, she’s in a good place now, and she revealed a big part of that is because she’s able to keep her streamer identity and personal identity separate, particularly in terms of dealing with criticism and hate. On the topic of keeping her identities separate in an interview with Anthony Padilla, Poki said: “That has served me well because when people say things about Poki, I don’t take it personally, and I don’t think any creator should. “These people don’t know you personally, so their comments, therefore, cannot be personal. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t consider what they say or take constructive criticism. But I at least compartmentalize it.” Poki explained that it helps her avoid lying in bed thinking about something a generic hater said about her. Then, she dropped a bombshell that would have solved the problem even more. “If I could do it again, I would be faceless.” She believes that being faceless would eradicate many of the negatives of streaming. After all, it’s worked wonders for Corpse Husband, Dream, and countless VTubers without stunting their popularity and growth. Poki herself streamed as a VTuber during the medium’s rise. The difference, though, was that she started streaming back in 2013 — a time when faceless content creation hadn’t gained traction yet. Still, it’s something she would have liked to do if she could turn back the clock.

  • Pokimane explains why Twitch chat forced her to use VTuber model less – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why Twitch chat forced her to use VTuber model less YouTube: codemiko clubImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has explained in a stream with virtual streamer CodeMiko why she’s stopped using her V-Tuber model as much as she used to. VTubers allow streamers and content creators to show a virtual representation of themselves without specifically revealing their face, and has built a tightly-knit community online. But as they become more and more popular, it’s no surprise that some existing creators are interested in using the idea for themselves. Some sections of the VTuber community lashed out at Pokimane after she posted a clip of her new model on Twitter. The Twitch streamer first started using an animated 3D model of herself when streaming without a camera in September, but upset fans claimed she was attempting to “cash in” on a trend. She responded to critics at the time on Twitter, saying “I don’t want to encroach on the VTuber community” and adding that she hopes “to partake in a respectful manner.” Since then, the streamer hasn’t used her VTuber model as much as she did at the time, although it seems as though the criticism she has received was not part of the reason. Pokimane explained why when she recently appeared on a stream alongside popular VTuber CodeMiko. Topic starts at 7:44 https://youtu.be/oCvADaY7dHA?t=461 Codemiko asked Pokimane about her own use of animation and whether she would be doing any more VTubing in the future. She responded by saying yes, but that “it was most useful during a month where I was streaming a ton and sometimes I just didn’t feel like having a camera or whatever.” She then explained that she now does it less because “It’s also so annoying to have people ask ‘Where’s the camera? Where’s the camera?’…shut up 12-year-old Billy from Massachusetts!” She went on to say how much she loves the style of streaming, adding, “One of the big reasons why I got into VTubing is because of what you’re doing now, it just seems like the future it’s just so, this is so f***ing cool, you are the future.” CodeMiko was bowled over by the compliment, and it’s safe to say that some of the animosity between the VTubing community and Pokimane has been patched up.

  • Pokimane explains why Twitch should stop crypto gambling streams – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why Twitch should stop crypto gambling streams Twitch: Pokimane/BitcoinPokimane has stated that she believes Twitch should stop allowing streamers to gamble on crypto sites for content, even suggesting that those who do it agree with her. Gambling streams have become insanely popular on Twitch, and caused a huge stir among streamers and viewers alike. While many believe gambling streams shouldn’t be allowed at all, a number have come round to the idea, with names like Trainwreck and xQc posting huge numbers (both winning and losing) during their gambling streams. They’ve frequently come under fire, though, and Trainwreck even plays a warning every time he wins, telling viewers that he is down millions and that they should not gamble. While sentiment towards gambling streams has lightened somewhat, there is opposition from a number of Twitch stars who think it’s hurting the platform. One of those is Pokimane, who has called for tighter regulation of gambling streams on crypto websites. “Twitch shouldn’t allow gambling streams on crypto websites at all, and I think even those who do it would agree,” she said. “There are plenty of ways to do similar content (poker tourneys, slots/rng in games) that aren’t as legally ambiguous and morally corrupt.” imo twitch shouldn’t allow gambling streams on crypto websites at all, and i think even those who do it would agree lol there are plenty of ways to do similar content (poker tourneys, slots/rng in games) that aren’t as legally ambiguous and morally corrupt. — imane 💜 (@imane) May 18, 2022 The replies seem largely in agreement with Poki, suggesting that “crossing the crypto line is way worse [than regular gambling], especially when your audience is not (well) educated on it.” Some streamers are making millions through their gambling streams too, with companies striking 7-figure deals with the likes of Trainwreck and Adin Ross to gamble on their sites. Whether Twitch reconsiders its approach to gambling content or change its terms of service remains to be seen, but for now, the content is seemingly fair game.

  • Pokimane explains why social media is “exhausting” – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why social media is “exhausting” Female Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys sparked discussion on Twitter on December 17 when she spoke out about social media being “exhausting.” The 23-year-old is no stranger to the internet, what with her career being online based, but she opened the conversation up for debate when she spoke out about how platforms like Twitter can make people feel. “Social media is exhausting,” she tweeted. This echoes similar thoughts of popular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, who quit the platform on December 16 after calling it a “cesspool” for “virtue signalling.” Fellow streamer Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo replied with his thoughts on the subject, and explained how constantly seeing the best parts of people’s lives can contribute to that. “It’s a curated showing of the highlights of people’s lives, which very quickly can make someone else feel inadequate,” he said. It creates a mess of instigation and assumption between people every day. [It’s] also is a good source of cat memes.” it’s a curated showing of the highlights of people’s lives, which very quickly can make someone else feel inadequate. it creates a mess of instigation and assumption between people every day. it also is a good source of cat memes. — DrLupo (@DrLupo) December 18, 2019 The Moroccan-Canadian responded, and said that part of the reason being on social media is so tiring is because you never know when you’re going to stumble upon something you didn’t want to see. “Maybe that’s what makes it so addicting,” she said. “You don’t know if you’ll win by seeing a cat pic, or lose by seeing something that makes you feel bad about yourself.” maybe that’s what makes it so addicting ? kinda like gambling, you don’t know if you’ll win by seeing a cat pic or lose by seeing something that makes you feel bad about yourself. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) December 18, 2019 Team SoloMid star Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani replied to this with some advice of his own, and echoed that it’s easy for people to forget where they once were and how far they’ve come since. “Reading a book right now that talks about how people unhealthily compare themselves to other people rather than to who they were yesterday,” he said. “I think it’s easy to forget where we were and how much progress we’ve made.” Reading a book right now, just finished up with a chapter that talks about how people unhealthily compare themselves to other people rather than comparing themselves to who they were yesterday. Pokimane explains why streamers like CallMeCarson behave “inappropriately” after achieving success Twitter, @Pokimanelol / Instagram, CallMeCarsonYTFollowing a controversial appearance from CallMeCarson on fellow streamer Mizkif’s Twitch stream, OfflineTV founder Pokimane explains why she believes young streamers behave “inappropriately” when seeing fame. Carson “CallMeCarson” King made an appearance on fellow streamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo’s August 13 stream, his first stream appearance since January 2021 when he was exposed for allegedly grooming minors. The Minecraft streamer is not the first internet personality to be accused of grooming minors, with James Charles being accused in early 2021. Twitch personality and newfound movie star Pokimane provided her stream chat on August 15 with an explanation of why she believes young personalities behave “inappropriately” when they see success — while emphasizing that she doesn’t mean it’s OK. Pokimane expresses her thoughts On her August 15 stream, Pokimane stops scrolling through clips on Reddit to address a recent surprise appearance by CallMeCarson on Mizkif’s stream. Starting off the chat, she explains that once a creator starts to see success on a platform, they are open to having fans that look up to them — idolize them, even. Read More: Jake Paul could still face a year in jail – “But the thing is, just because someone has clout doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a good person, or a good boyfriend, or a good whatever.” She notes that its less about being a good person, and more so about being experienced in life. She continues on: “A lot of people, because they’re so good at content and gaming and whatever, it’s because they’ve spent a lot of their young formative years only on this one thing, which means it’s likely that they are kind of lacking in social experience.” The creator continues explaining her thoughts: “So, when they are inundated with all of this online attention and girls worshipping them and wanting to do anything for them, it’s an unfortunate combination, and a lot of the time it ends in inappropriate or egotistical behavior, because they don’t know any better.” Implying that she thinks lack of socialization with younger influencers directly leads to these behaviors, Pokimane emphasizes that she doesn’t think they shouldn’t take responsibility for their actions. The creator ends her statement: “Its a convoluted problem,” before looking down into her phone.

  • Pokimane explains why she’s hesitant to launch Valkyrae-style skincare line – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she’s hesitant to launch Valkyrae-style skincare line Instagram/PokimaneTwitch icon Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys responded to the possibility of following in the footsteps of 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and start her own skincare line. Pokimane made waves earlier this month by announcing her own company ‘Myna Snacks’ and their first cookie product. While Myna Snacks has other tasty creations in the works, there’s no shortage of marketing opportunities for Pokimane given her status as one of the leading voices in the streaming space. During a recent interview, Pokimane was asked about potentially launching a skincare line like Valkyrae’s controversial RFLCT line or starting her own esports team like Disguised Toast, but the streamer expressed concerns. Pokimane doesn’t want to “make as much money” as she can Speaking with Inverse, Pokimane explained that she doesn’t want to release too many products with the goal of just making money. “My goal is not to launch as many products as I can or make as much money as I can,” she said. “It’s really about being super intentional with what I bring to market, not just because something might sell with my name behind it, but because I think the product is that great.” The Twitch star had previously noted how Myna Snacks was a two-year passion project of hers, further indicating that she takes her time developing a brand and launching a product. “Maybe in five years, I’ll think of something else,” she added. Although the next Myna Snacks product has yet to be officially announced, the company’s co-founder Darcey Macken says they’re eyeing other snack items such as crackers following the Midnight Mini Cookies launch. • Pokimane explains why she’s not moving back to the OfflineTV house – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she’s not moving back to the OfflineTV house Twitter: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys told Mizkif that she’s decided not to move back into the OfflineTV house in favor of living by herself, explaining that she wants to give it a go for at least six months to see if she likes it. In March 2021, Pokimane flirted with the idea of moving back into the OfflineTV house once her lease with beloved roommates Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, Janet ‘xChocobars’ Rose, and Starsmitten expires. But now that their tenure has just about run its course, Valkyrae revealed they’ve all got their “own plans” in mind and want to start a “new chapter”. For now at least, it seems like Pokimane’s next step is to try living alone, at least for a time. “I found an apartment, and I signed the lease,” said Pokimane. Then, Mizkif asked her who she was living with, and she replied, “Just me!” “You’re insane! You’ll get so bored so fast… living by yourself is brutal,” replied Mizkif. “I thought so too… but there’s just so many f**king people in LA,” said Pokimane. “I have been leaving my room too much. I’m tired of it. I’m tired of going out. I want to stay inside. I want to play Valorant for 12 hours, and I want nobody to bother me.” Mizkif repeated: “You’re gonna get bored real fast. I’m letting you know.” “That has happened to me before,” said Pokimane. “But here are the caveats. I see OfflineTV regularly. There’s a lot of people around, so I can hang out with them.” “And the lease is [only] six months. So, I’m doing a six-month test [to see] how I like living alone. And If I hate it, then I’ll never do it again.” Despite doing a u-turn on her initial idea of moving back into the OfflineTV house, it’s not totally out of the picture. Pokimane might re-evaluate her decision in six months. However, she was always drawn to the thought of living alone for a while, and it sounds like she’s ultimately decided to give it a go.

Pokimane explains why she’s been ‘MIA’ from streaming & social media Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane has given fans a long-awaited update after being absent from streaming and social media for some time. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is Twitch’s most-followed female streamer and one of its top ten most-followed broadcasters overall. However, she notably stepped back from streaming in 2022, claiming she wanted to pursue other avenues of content creation like making videos on TikTok and vlogging on YouTube. Since then, she’s been less active on Twitch, but still maintains a semi-regular streaming schedule. However, she hasn’t broadcasted on the platform in seven days or been active on her social media accounts in weeks. Pokimane reveals why she’s been absent from streaming That being said, Pokimane has been keeping fans updated from time to time via her Instagram stories, where she explained why she hadn’t been posting as often in a short message on August 15. According to the streamer, she’s been busy caring for her mental health and working on projects behind the scenes. She also revealed that she recently experienced a death in her family and is helping her relatives recover after the unfortunate loss. “Sorry I’ve been MIA,” Pokimane wrote. “Just takin’ care of my mental, BTS stuff, and my family since my grandpa’s passing. Will be back soon. Wishing you all well!” Pokimane initially revealed this news in a tweet on August 12, announcing she’d be canceling that day’s stream. However, it seems she took a long break to be available for her family during this trying time. While Pokimane has taken breaks from streaming in the past, this was an unexpected hiatus for the content creator. Luckily, fans are on her side following her latest announcement, offering their condolences and well-wishes to the streamer.

Pokimane explains why she won’t talk about her relationships on stream Twitch: PokimanePokimane’s friend Kevin asked if they were dating during a live stream, and the Twitch star quickly explained why she wouldn’t answer that question in front of her viewers. With almost nine million followers on Twitch, Pokimane has continued to be one of the top viewed female streamers on the platform — amassing over 4.5 million views so far in 2022. When it comes to her personal life, however, one of the biggest topics has always been her relationship status. On December 31, 2021, her fans were convinced that she had just revealed her boyfriend, Kevin, on stream. After a viewer asked if Pokimane got annoyed by fans constantly asking if they were together, Kevin turned to the Twitch star and asked if they were dating during a February 12 stream. Seconds later, Poki explained why she wouldn’t answer that question in front of her viewers. Are Pokimane and Kevin dating? While on stream together, a viewer asked Pokimane if she got annoyed by fans constantly asking if they were dating. She quickly explained that it is “kinda weird champ,” which led Kevin to jokingly ask her the question. “Listen. Um. I just feel like it’s weird to talk about stuff like that [on stream],” Poki replied. “Imagine you’re like 13, you’re in middle school and you’re hanging out. Now imagine if a reporter came and forcibly asked who your crush is. “It’s a weird thing to talk about publicly.” Kevin agreed with the Twitch star, explaining that it’s “personal life stuff.” Pokimane finished the conversation by explaining that Kevin is really nice, and having him on stream is like a “treat” for the 20k+ viewers in her chat. Despite the occasional “single btw” tweet, Poki has chosen to keep her personal life separate from her professional life as a content creator. In mid-2020, the Twitch star revealed why she’s made the decision to keep things separate. “For me, this also creates a healthier divide between my work life and my personal life — which is an area where the lines are already pretty blurred…I personally want to experience my relationships without the scrutiny of an online audience.”

  • Pokimane explains why she never addresses dating rumors – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she never addresses dating rumors YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane explained to fans why she never addresses dating rumors between herself and other streamers, saying she doesn’t want to stir up even more speculation. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most-followed broadcasters and the site’s most-followed female streamer overall. Boasting over 9.3 million followers on the platform, Anys’ audience is quite expansive — and also quite curious about their favorite streamer’s personal life. Throughout her years as a top online entertainer, Pokimane has had to fend off dating rumors left and right. While some viewers theorized that she had a secret boyfriend behind the scenes, others paired her with other prominent broadcasters. For Pokimane’s part, she’s never publicly opened up about her love life — and she explained why in a tell-all YouTube video on January 19. Pokimane says she’ll never address dating rumors In the video, Anys addressed some of her fans’ biggest assumptions about her, which included speaking up on all the ‘dating rumors’ she’s dealt with over the years. “People have wrongfully assumed that I’ve either dated or been involved with people that I just haven’t,” she began. “Like flat out, I just haven’t. But also, people kind of assume that with every single guy I come into contact with, which is annoying.” “The reason I never address those things — two parts. One: If you are so adamant about not being involved with someone, my concern was that it’s gonna sound so rude if you’re like, ‘No, I’m definitely not dating this person! Yuck!’ You know? I’m always worried about making the guy feel bad.” “Two: If I start clarifying certain assumptions involving me and other people, it kind of narrows down who I might see or might not. So, you’ll never know because I will never confirm or deny anything.” (Topic begins at 12:55) Well, there you have it. It looks like Pokimane isn’t keen on sharing the deets on her relationship status with fans whatsoever… which might be a hard pill to swallow for those who have been shipping her with Kevin ever since he started appearing on her streams back in 2022.

  • Pokimane explains why she turned down $3 million sponsorship deal – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she turned down $3 million sponsorship deal YouTube: PokimanePopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys confirmed that she received a sponsorship offer worth $3 million, but explained why she decided to turn it down despite admitting that she didn’t have that much money in her bank account. Using streamers to promote your product or game has become increasingly popular over the last few years, with companies recognizing the power of using content creators to advertise to their loyal fanbase, with thousands of people tuning in to the biggest streamers daily to watch them. This offers these creators incredible new ways to make money and increase their revenue, and when fellow streamer Byron ‘Reckful’ Bernstein revealed that he had brought a $3 million offer to Pokimane, he was stunned to see her turn it down, revealing that he expected her to take it instantly. Talking together on Sunday, January 27, Reckful revealed that he had come to Pokimane with the sponsorship deal, saying: “I messaged her and said ‘I have an offer for you, someone wants to pay you $3 million to do this, and it’s not even that bad a thing to do.’ “She said no. She actually was like; ‘No, it’s crazy.’ I was like holy sh*t, she said no. I really thought you were going to say yes, but then I tried to go empathetic and then I [realized] that it doesn’t make sense for [you], but I’m sure $3 million is a lot. You’re 23, when I was 23 I had $1300 in my bank account.” “I don’t have $3 million in my bank account and that’s why I’m saying no,” the Canadian replied. “I said no because I’m doing fine in life, I’m doing well enough to not want to do things for money that I don’t naturally want to do, even if it’s $3 million.” While the pair did confirm the amount on offer, neither revealed the exact nature of the sponsorship, although it doesn’t appear to have been an offer to jump ship to a rival platform, but rather a sponsorship deal that she decided didn’t suit her. Reckful himself did break some massive news of his own during the Twitch broadcast too, sharing that he recently completed a massive work deal with a tech conglomerate worth $177 million.

  • Pokimane explains why she doesn’t ask for subscribers on Twitch – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she doesn’t ask for subscribers on Twitch Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has explained why she no longer asks for subscriptions or donations while broadcasting on the platform. Streaming on Twitch offers a number of ways to monetize content, but one of the biggest avenues for creators to earn money is through the generosity of their audience, who can give a donation to support the platform, or subscribe to unlock special badges and emotes in the chat. For many, this is their main source of income, but Pokimane recently explained that she doesn’t ask for subscriptions or donations anymore, instead preferring to offer content for free. During an episode of the OfflineTV podcast centered around money, the 23-year-old and Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Yang discussed how sponsorships were now their main source of income, with Pokimane admitting that she prefers them to asking her viewers for help. “You guys don’t have to pay us anything,” Disguised Toast explained. “Honestly, we love taking money from big organizations, you watching it makes us money. You don’t have to give us money.” Pokimane agreed, stating: “I also feel very similarly, at this point, I don’t care to ask for donations for stuff, or even subscriptions. I will always make more off of sponsorships, so I’d rather do those when I can and give out as much free content as I can.” Clip starts at 1:00:17 for mobile users. Of course, the fact that Disguised Toast isn’t interested in subscriptions or donations will come as little surprise, with the newly-announced Facebook Gaming streamer turning off the ability to receive gifts from fans back in August, before imploring his viewers to subscribe to smaller streamers instead. For Pokimane, by actively choosing to not encourage subscriptions or donations she is likely losing a chunk of income that she could harness, but clearly feels that unless people are desperate to support her with cash, she can offer content without the need to ask for any money from her loyal fanbase.

  • Pokimane explains why she “doesn’t belong” in LA with other influencers – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she “doesn’t belong” in LA with other influencers YouTube: Pokimane TooWhile on a trip to Canada, Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys opened up about her feelings about living in Los Angeles. The personality explained why she feels she “doesn’t belong” in the California city. Pokimane is the top female streamer on Twitch, and an entertainment juggernaut with millions of subscribers across her Instagram, and YouTube accounts. However during her February 23 upload, the Moroccan-Canadian got real with her audience and explained the downsides of living in LA with other influencers. Pokimane opens up about “not belonging” in LA The streamer uploaded the clip to her second YouTube channel ‘Pokimane Too’ which she uses to post more personal content. “I filmed something while I was in Canada, where I talked about how I feel living on the West Coast. Living in a very influencer intensive area,” she began. She then said that she didn’t think Los Angeles would ever feel like home. “So much of the time when I’m home, I’m reminded of things I don’t like about LA. But there is just certain things that make East Coast feel like home, and I feel like I’ll never be able to get that in LA,” the streamer continued. The Twitch star explained that she felt out of place in the California city. “I just don’t know if the environment is really right for me. I would feel better or feel like I fit in more in a city back in Canada. Or maybe elsewhere in the United States.” The OfflineTV personality then explained why she doesn’t like LA culture, citing people treating her different based on her subscriber count. “People just care about what you do, and what value you bring them. Not so much, who you are. Where you’re from. What’s going on in your life.” Pokimane also stated that friends in the US city were out of convenience. “The majority of them I feel like they are friends of convenience. Which really sucks to say. They’re people that if I stopped doing what I’m doing, they’re not going to check up on me. They’re not going to want to continue a friendship with me,” she said. The Twitch streamer then wondered where she might end up living. “I guess I just wonder where I’ll end up living long term. I wonder if I’ll ever come to a point where I just don’t really want to be in LA anymore.” (Timestamp 01:55 for mobile users.) Despite feeling down about living in Los Angeles, the streamer clarified that she was feeling “nostalgic” when she recorded it as she was back at home in Canada at the time. • Pokimane explains why she collabed with Jidion after Twitch hate raid drama – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she collabed with Jidion after Twitch hate raid drama Twitter: Jidion6 / YouTube: PokimanePokimane explained the reason why she decided to go through with her surprising collaboration with Jidion despite the drama from his Twitch hate raid in January. On February 3, Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and YouTuber Jidion shocked the internet by announcing a completely unexpected collaboration. This news came as a shock to fans, as Jidion had notably orchestrated a hate raid against Pokimane in January by sending his fans to spam her Twitch chat. The situation soon spiraled out of control, with both Anys and her fans receiving intense harassment from internet trolls. It wasn’t long before Jidion issued a public apology to Pokimane and urged his fans to stop the madness, but the damage was done; Jidion had copped a permanent ban from Twitch and Anys’s social media profiles were rife with hateful and inappropriate comments. However, it seems like Jidion’s public apology and message to his fanbase prompted Anys to reach out to him for a conversation, as told in a previous Twitch stream that she recently uploaded to YouTube. Pokimane reveals why she joined Jidion for surprise collab “He really had no benefit going out of his way to tell them to stop bothering me,” she explained. “So when I saw that he did that, and those people did remove their comments and stuff, I reached out to him on Twitter.” Anys claimed that their ensuing conversation via Discord was “actually really nice,” and included more “profuse” apologies from Jidion before the idea of a collab came up. “We kind of just got to a point where we understood things from each other’s perspectives,” she added. “He apologized profusely about the things that happened.” Despite all the drama, Pokimane said that Jidion was a blast to hang out with, and both parties mentioned that they’d be down for collabing again sometime in the future. For now, Poki is busy giving away a Tesla in celebration of re-signing with Twitch.

  • Pokimane explains why she didn’t expect to win Streamer Award over Sodapoppin – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she didn’t expect to win Streamer Award over Sodapoppin Twitch: Sodapoppin, PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys won the Legacy Award at the Streamer Awards in March 2022, hosted by QTCinderella and Maya Higa — but she thinks another nominee deserved it more. Pokimane has long been one of the biggest names on Twitch, and a hugely influential name for women especially, in the livestreaming world. She’s helped break barriers in a largely male-dominated industry and become one of the most viewed women on the platform — so it’s fair to say her legacy is one that many would be proud of. When she won the Legacy Award at the Streamer Awards, however, she thought that Chance ‘Sodapoppin’ Morris actually deserved the win more. In her post-Awards vlog, Pokimane is clearly mindblown that she actually won the award, admitting that she didn’t expect it. “I didn’t think that I would win anything at all,” she said. “When I tell you I had zero expectations of winning, I really mean zero.” She continued, saying that “I literally told other people that I think Soda should win,” before cutting to a clip of her explaining why she would pick Sodapoppin before the awards, commending the longevity of his career on Twitch. Timestamp 10:27 Poki went on to state that she is “so flattered” that voters see her the same way she sees Sodapoppin, but that she does feel like she deserves it considering she didn’t ask others to vote for her. If this becomes an annual awards show, there’s no doubt Soda will get his flowers eventually — and we know Pokimane will be one of the first to vote for him.

  • Pokimane explains why OnlyFans-style platforms are “the future” amid Twitch changes – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why OnlyFans-style platforms are “the future” amid Twitch changes Twitch/PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has responded to the platform’s new changes by suggesting that streamers take their talents to OnlyFans-like sites. Twitch kicked off a massive firestorm on June 6 when details surrounding new rules on branded content were revealed, which restricted types of “burned-in” advertisements. Amid the backlash, many big names, such as Asmongold, threatened to leave Twitch for rival websites like Kick and Rumble and called for a boycott of the Amazon-owned platform. Even after Twitch issued an apology, it too was met with criticism – and Pokimane further chimed in, urging streamers to make changes in order to get proper compensation for their content. Pokimane says OnlyFans and other sites are better for content creators In a post on her personal Twitter account, Anys noted how content creation was becoming “saturated,” with there being a ton of options for streaming and too many choices. In addition to Twitch, creators also have Kick, YouTube, TikTok and even Facebook if they’re feeling especially masochistic. “I feel like because content creation is becoming so saturated [and] we often have trouble relying on the platforms we use, the future is direct to consumer paid content,” Pokimane said. She then proceeded to list several examples such as OnlyFans, Patreon and consumer goods, adding how these platforms allow creators to make much more money. That said, Poki has insisted that she won’t be joining OnlyFans, despite many viewers wanting her to. “Cut out the middle man and get proper compensation for what you make/do!” she exclaimed. However, this wouldn’t mean cutting out social media, as they serve immense importance in discoverability. Pokimane added: “Social media platforms will obviously always be used, but I think people will start looking at them as tools to gain exposure instead of being the way to make money.” Whether or not others take her comments to heart or if Pokimane is hinting at changes she has in the works remain to be seen. Regardless, she is just the latest to seemingly encourage creators to seek out other avenues as Twitch faces backlash for its recent updates.

  • Pokimane explains why she approves of Disguised Toast’s move to Facebook – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she approves of Disguised Toast’s move to Facebook Popular streamer and Hearthstone player Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang has made a move from Twitch to Facebook Gaming – and while some fans are wary of the change, another top personality is mainly optimistic. Wang announced his move on Friday, November 22, joining the mass Twitch exodus from other top streamers to mark the first significant personality to stream exclusively via Facebook Gaming. Claiming that he hopes to gain a “larger platform to share my voice with a global audience,” Toast’s move to the service has left many fans scratching their heads as other streamers move to Mixer – but streaming star Imane “Pokimane” Anys is mostly hopeful for his venture. Anys, a member of Toast and crew’s “Offline TV” group, gave her thoughts on Toast’s transition to Facebook Gaming during a Twitch stream on November 22, where she expressed a hopeful outlook on the development in spite of fan speculation. “Facebook Gaming, in general, isn’t that developed,” she began. “But I think he’s not only a great streamer, but he’s a very smart businessman. So he’ll be able to help them make changes that’ll make their live streaming better.” The streamer went on to throw some subtle shade towards fans overly concerned with platforms’ view counts, reiterating the fact that Facebook likely saw ample opportunity in partnering with Toast in light of competing sites like Mixer and Twitch. “I know for a lot of you guys, it’s just like, ‘What’s their view count at, eyeballs?’” she continued. “But no platform starts at 100k. You know? My point is, they’re getting a lot of value out of him in probably a lot of different ways.” While some might speculate that Toast’s decision was based on profit, the streamer admitted that Facebook’s initiative for “helping others in need” was a large part of his decision – a statement that comes as little surprise, as he encouraged viewers to stop subscribing and donating to his channel just ahead of his move. No matter the case, Disguised Toast’s partnership with Facebook Gaming marks yet another top streamer leaving Twitch as personalities continue to explore other options in the wake of the site’s controversial moderation decisions.

Thanks to Pokimane’s status as one of Twitch’s most popular female streamers, she suffers constant questioning about her romantic escapades, with fans and critics alike pairing her with other streamers on the platform. However, Pokimane hit back at these accusations in her YouTube video on the subject, humorously declaring that she isn’t currently dating anyone in spite of the rumors. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s top female content creators, boasting over three million followers on the site.600 “NO!” Anys shouted when approached with the question, explaining that she wouldn’t want to make her relationship public, even if she were dating someone. “I don’t know if I would like, really want to put my relationship out there one I get into one,” she continued. “For example, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of couples out there who make their relationship public. …when they break up, they have to make that public, too. I don’t know if I wanna go through that, know what I’m saying?” [Timestamp: 2:41 for mobile viewers] Pokimane went on to explain that she doesn’t keep her love life private in hopes of gaining more thirsty fans, as many female streamers are accused of doing. “A big reason why it bothers me to read stuff like this… is because I don’t think there’s anything I particularly do that justifies that assumption,” she said of the matter. “…I love communicating with my entire audience or random people however I can. I don’t like putting a price amount on it.” Fans and critics alike constantly speculate about Pokimane’s love life, pairing her with fellow streamers like HasanAbi and her housemate, Fedmyster.600 This wouldn’t be the first time Pokimane has hit back at accusations of hiding a relationship from fans, either; the streamer addressed speculation between herself and Twitch streamer HasanAbi on June 15, calling the rumors surrounding them “gross.” “I really don’t like this,” Pokimane said of a meme about the two streamers. “Ehh…. nu-uh. You know, I actually tried… to separate myself from people once all that started happening. It was just gross.” Pokimane has a huge following on Twitch, boasting over 3 million subscribers on the site as of June 21.

  • Pokimane explains why men need to stop talking about the “friend zone” – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why men need to stop talking about the “friend zone” YouTube: Pokimane / FreepikDuring the February 16 OfflineTV podcast, Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys discussed a variety of topics from dating to red flags in relationships. But the streaming personality had some blunt advice for guys who want to know how to get out of the friend zone. Pokimane is not only one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, she’s an entertainment juggernaut with millions of followers across her YouTube and Instagram accounts. However during the ‘GIRL TALK’ edition of the OfflineTV podcast, the Moroccan-Canadian star opened up about dating, and explained why the friend zone needs to stop being talked about. The all-girl panel consisted of OfflineTV members Pokimane, Yvonnie, LilyPichu, and Twitch streamer Fuslie. As they kicked off the latest episode, Poki joked about what their audience wanted to learn from them. “I bet what they’re wondering, is how to get out of the friend zone,” she said. She then gave advice for those curious and stated, “And my number one tip is DON’T ever talk about the friend zone. If a guy is ever like “I feel like I’m in the friend zone with you” I’m like nuh uh bye!” she said, shaking her head and waving with her hand. Yvonnie agreed and explained “usually how a guy gets out of the friend zone is that they’ve just been a friend for so long and something happens.” The Moroccan Canadian added, “Like allow her to see you in different lights. Because one of those may trigger further interests!” Pokimane opened up more on her thoughts on the subject, and exclaimed, “Every single time I instantly knew he wanted to date, not like he wanted to get to know me or just be friends, it just puts so much pressure on it. It’s like were going on a DATE, not just hanging out and getting to know each other!” She then said it bothered her when guys assume they know who she is as a person. “It feels like they think they know me, so they already know they want to date me. But I know they don’t actually know me, because we haven’t hung out much.” The Twitch star then remembered a story when she was in seventh grade, and she shot down an admirer. “This guy told me he liked me. And I said “no you don’t. You don’t even know me!” I still feel that way, but I wouldn’t say it like that,” she said breaking into laughter. (Timestamp 03:22 for mobile users.) This isn’t the first time Pokimane has given advice to her viewers on the issue of dating. She has also opened up about having to deal with fans who cross the line, and think they are friends in real life. The streamer continues to crush it on Twitch, and as of the time of writing has over 3.9 million followers on her channel, making her the top female personality on the platform.

  • Pokimane explains why Japanese convenience stores are better than the US – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why Japanese convenience stores are better than the US Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys uploaded a vlog of her trip to Japan with OfflineTV, and explained why convenient stores there put America to shame. Pokimane is the largest female streamer on Twitch, and an entertainment juggernaut with millions of followers across her YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. The lovable personality documented her 2019 vacation in Japan, and explained why their convenient stores had her obsessed over a specific food item that saw her going back almost every day. The streamer uploaded a vlog to her YouTube channel on January 2 titled ” I FELL IN LOVE IN JAPAN,” where she documented her travels, and confessed her love for convenience stores in the country. “A lot of the time we’ve been walking down to this convenience store called Lawson. But the convenience stores are so good! The food there is so… It’s like, America what are you doing?!” she exclaimed, before giving a chef’s kiss with her hands. Pokimane then revealed the surprising food item that she and her OfflineTV crew became obsessed with while on their trip. “And Lawson’s has incredible fried chicken. I’m talking so good, we eat it for breakfast all the time!” she said. The streaming personality then hilariously stated, “Imagine spending hundreds of dollars to travel to Japan and what you have is freaking fried chicken for breakfast. Okay? It’s that GOOD!” As they arrived at the store, she celebrated by singing, “It’s chicken time! It’s chicken time!’ showing her obsession with the food, and exclaimed, “Oh my God! They have a full batch!” upon reaching the counter. While her favorite food in Japan may be a surprise given it’s a common staple of American cuisine, Japan is infamous for it convenience stores that carry a variety of tasty snacks and meals. (Timestamp 12:37 for mobile users.) Pokimane continues to crush it, and ended 2019 as the top female streamer on Twitch by a large margin with over 3.6 million followers, and thousands of subscribers. The Moroccan-Canadian has grown a large audience across multiple platforms, and even launched a successful clothing brand in September 2019 that quickly sold out of its stock, giving her momentum going into 2020.

  • Pokimane explains why joining OnlyFans isn’t “desirable” despite viewer demand – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why joining OnlyFans isn’t “desirable” despite viewer demand Twitch/PokimaneTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has responded to fans wanting her to join OnlyFans as thirsty viewers encourage her to create adult content. Pokimane is one of the most popular streamers on the internet and has been encouraged by many of her viewers to make the lucrative plunge by creating an OnlyFans account. Over the years, many of Twitch’s top talent have made a fortune through OnlyFans. For example, Alinity earned more in two months than she would have in 10 years on Twitch while Amouranth has made over $30M so far. Despite Pokimane believing that she could make as much as $10M a month on OF, she still hasn’t joined and put the discussion to rest during a recent broadcast. Pokimane reveals why she turned down OnlyFans During a January 18 Twitch stream, a viewer came into Pokimane’s chat to ask her if she had an OnlyFans account and Anys had the perfect response. “Bitch, do you think I do?” she rhetorically asked. “Do you think if I had an OnlyFans you’d be asking if I had an OnlyFans?” The viewer responded a few moments later, further asking if she would ever make one if the opportunity presented itself and it was a desirable career choice. “What do you mean ‘if the chance came?’ The chance has been here. The opportunity has been around,” the streamer revealed. “It’s been there.” According to Pokimane, while some others may “enjoy sex work,” she is adamant that she wouldn’t want to pursue it. “I know that’s not the career path for me,” Anys explained. “It’s just like that. I know I like blue and I know I don’t like green peppers. I don’t like the way that they taste. It’s that simple.” The weird food analogy aside, it’s safe to say that viewers shouldn’t expect Pokimane to join OF, especially considering how successful she’s been without needing to switch up her content too much. Late last year, the Moroccan-Canadian revealed she paid for her parents’ retirement with money she made through streaming on Twitch.

  • Pokimane explains why it would be hard dating a big Twitch streamer – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why it would be hard dating a big Twitch streamer Instagram: pokimanelolPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys told Mizkif why she would personally find it difficult to date a fellow streamer who was constantly working. With over 7.8 million followers, Pokimane is among the most popular creators on Twitch, and is constantly providing a range of content to her fans, from gaming to even taking part in OTV’s take on a hot tub stream as part of the ongoing meta. As Pokimane is so prominent in the public eye of the streaming world, many fans and viewers have become curious about the star’s dating life. That includes fellow streamer Mizkif, who asked Pokimane about her dating preferences while they were streaming. “Do you think you could ever date a streamer? That’s a big streamer?” Mizkif asked. “It depends,” Pokimane responded. “They would have to have a lot of social experience and a high EQ (emotional intelligence.) I don’t think I could date someone where streaming is their life. You know?” She went on to say: “What I’m trying to say is I’ve found that a lot of people that stream a ton don’t have a ton of social experience because they’ve spent so much of their lives playing games. Which can be okay, but if you’re still spending all of your time just streaming, it’s a little bit tough.” However, she did elaborate on the fact that this issue doesn’t necessarily lie exclusively with streamers. “But it’s the same for kind of any job,” she said. “If someone is just working constantly and their work overtakes their life, it’s hard to be in a relationship with someone like that.” It seems as though Mizkif identified with Pokimane’s description of a busy streamer, as he let out a quiet “whoops” after she’d finished explaining her dating preferences.

  • Pokimane explains why being called a “Twitch thot” doesn’t bother her – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why being called a “Twitch thot” doesn’t bother her OfflineTV, YouTubeImane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, boasting a huge audience of over 3.9 million followers on the site — but being an internet star doesn’t come without its difficulties. Although Pokimane sports a hugely supportive fanbase, she likewise has a horde of haters, many of whom label her a “Twitch thot” — an insulting term meant to degrade women on the platform by accusing them of using their sexuality to get views. While she is best known for her hilarious interactions with fans and Fortnite Duos streams, Anys has apparently come to terms with the insult in her many years of being a top-tier broadcaster. She spoke on this particular word in an OfflineTV video on February 20, where the streaming squad got together to read mean Tweets about themselves in the style of Jimmy Kimmel’s popular television segment. One of the “mean Tweets” about Pokimane was made in response to a fan-created Fortnite skin for the star, which read, “I don’t think they should make a skin for a Twitch thot. They made one for Loserfruit, but she’s not a thot.” After having a good laugh at the ridiculous commenter, who went on to preemtively defend themselves against “12-year-old fanboy white knights,” Anys explained why being called a “thot” isn’t something that bothers her anymore. “‘Thot’ is like the lowest list of anything that will hurt me,” she joked. “I’ve heard that sh*t a million times!” (Segment begins at 5:00 for mobile readers) That’s not all: Pokimane also commented on the seemingly neverending jabs at her viral makeupless selfie, with one commenter writing, “Looks like you’re thankful for makeup and filters” on her Thanksgiving day photos. “But like, I am!” she admitted. “I’m so not ashamed of it! I think most girls are. Filters are insane, nowadays!” While the rest of the gang also read aloud some extremely disturbing posts directed at them, their video just goes to show that if you’ve got haters, you’re doing something right — and those who take the time to spout toxicity are usually just taking out their own frustrations on others.

  • Pokimane explains why “exhausting” Valorant experience makes her want to play less – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why “exhausting” Valorant experience makes her want to play less Pokimane/Riot GamesTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys revealed some of the reasons why she has been playing Valorant less than usual and dished out some harsh criticism for the teammates she gets paired with. Pokimane has been in love with Riot Games shooter Valorant since the game launched back in June of 2020 – even grinding her way to top rank in the game, Immortal. In late October, the Offline TV member opened up about how her fixation on the game led her to reach Immortal rank. On her dedication to Valorant she explained: “I enjoyed just grinding my a** off in that game… I think it was seeing the progress that really felt good – especially progress in something that you are initially so clueless in.” Although she still loves the game, Poki has a few criticisms of it, especially with some of the toxicity surrounding random teammates. Why Pokimane is playing Valorant less On November 14, Poki explained her stance on playing Valorant in its current state. “I love Valorant so much, but I frequently feel like my life would be better off playing it less. Opening myself up to 4 other people’s toxicity & sexism every single game is simply exhausting,” she posted on her Imane Twitter account. The streamer has opened up about toxicity and sexism she’s faced in the past while playing other video games competitively, and it’s clearly something that has not gone away. i love valorant sm, but i frequently feel like my life would be better off playing it less. opening myself up to 4 other people’s toxicity & sexism every single game is simply exhausting. 😔 — imane 💜 (@imane) November 14, 2021 Although she does love Valorant, the taxing nature of communicating with four random teammates does take its toll, and being at a high rank can prevent her from grouping up with friends to make things easier. Fans of the Twitch star will be hoping that Poki can eventually get back to playing and enjoying the game she loves dearly.
