  • Pokimane explains the “scary” reason behind xQc’s messy streaming setup – Dexerto

Pokimane explains the “scary” reason behind xQc’s messy streaming setup Twitch: Pokimane / xQcOWTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys reacted to a viral video of Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s trash-filled room. The 25-year-old explained why streamers can have messy living conditions and why it scares her. During his July 5 stream, xQc gave his audience a tour of his room. The clip went viral after viewers became grossed out by the piles of trash that were littered across his desk and under his computer. After watching the video, Pokimane explained to viewers how his setup actually “made sense” for a streamer. The Morocco Canadian argued that she found situations like this to be “scary.” Pokimane reacts to xQc’s messy room tour Reacting to xQc’s messy room, Pokimane was at first floored by the number of drinks on his desk. Squinting, she tried to count the total number of trash items that he had lined up across his desk. “Oh my… Four, five, six seven. Seven drinks on the left side of his monitor. Does that mean it’s been a week since he cleaned up? Or does he drink more than one drink a day?” she asked. The Twitch star then watched Nick ‘Nmplol’ Polom’s defense of xQc who showed his own trash-filled room after just “one day” of streaming. Poki told viewers that their rooms being “messy” wasn’t the problem, and explained why it happens in their profession. “It’s not about needing a trash can. It’s about when you stream really long hours because there is this sense that like I CAN’T leave my stream or else the viewers will leave,” she said. She continued, “Even for like five minutes, people don’t want to get up to make food or heat up food that they left in the fridge. So instead they order literally three meals in the day, and just chug them energy drinks so that they can stream the long hours, and by the end of it, it results in a lot of trash. Which makes sense.” Anys then explained why there is a much bigger issue going on than their rooms being a mess. “When I look at this, I’m not like “Oh, that’s so messy,” but it’s more so living this way day and day out, I can’t imagine what it does to your body and its health. Like, processed food three times a day. And I’m not even saying this from like a high horse of eating healthy all the time. It’s kind of scary,” she said. The Twitch star added that she hopes that viewers aren’t encouraged to live this way because their favorite streamers do. “I hope it’s not the kind of thing you as viewers look up to. Chug energy drinks, and order McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A three times a day so that I don’t have to leave my PC.” Pokimane ended her rant by cautioning her audience that eating poorly due to not getting up could eventually have consequences: “That is a difficult thing to do to your body EVERY single day. And it’s going to catch up to you. You know the saying ‘you are what you eat’ …I swear to god that s**t is true.” After giving her take on the situation, the streamer reiterated that she could relate to having a messing room while doing long stream sessions. However, the 25-year-old, however, appears to have found a balance between streaming and finding time to take care of her diet.

  • Pokimane explains what saved “anticlimactic” Fortnite X Star Wars event – Dexerto

Pokimane explains what saved “anticlimactic” Fortnite X Star Wars event Popular Twitch streamers Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani collaborated for the Star Wars X Fortnite event, which saw an exclusive Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker scene debut in Risky Reels. The Star Wars X Fortnite collaboration is the latest in a long line of ambitious crossovers, as Fortnite uses its standing in popular culture to promote movies, in exchange for awesome in-game content. We have already seen crossovers with John Wick, Avengers: Endgame and Borderlands 3. The crossover with Star Wars precedes the release of The Rise of Skywalker on December 19, and has seen a plethora of new content added to Fortnite. Pokimane and TSM Myth were two of the biggest Twitch streamers to broadcast their reactions, summarizing them in a December 15 YouTube video. Pokimane explained that she found the event “anticlimactic” at first, before she realised that the event has led to a limited-time mode and other in-game content, such as the infamous lightsabers. “I feel that there’s no way you engineer all that just for five minutes,” she said. “It felt, anticlimactic. There is an LTM? Okay, there better be.” Timestamp for mobile users: 10:20 Not only was Pokimane impressed with the limited time mode, but also with the idea of lightsabers and blasters in Fortnite. “Lightsabers and blasters are apparently in the game now,” said Myth. He described the event as “dope” as it was going on, before seriously enjoying his first experience with a lightsaber in Fortnite. “Oh, that’s actually really cool,” responded Poki. “The overall event was like a 6.5/10, but the fact that they added that in, makes it worthwhile imo. That’s the really cool part of it.” The Star Wars event is ongoing, before the ninth and supposedly final film launches on December 19. Fortnite has already incorporated skins for John Boyega’s ‘Finn’ and Daisy Ridley’s ‘Rey’, with a leaked ‘Kylo Ren’ skin supposedly coming soon. Fans of Fortnite Chapter 2 are enjoying the event, as both Pokimane and Myth did, and will undoubtedly be looking forward to more ambitious crossovers in the near future.

  • Pokimane explains the downside of Twitch compared to YouTube – Dexerto

Pokimane explains the downside of Twitch compared to YouTube Twitch: Pokimane / YouTubeTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys opened up about the differences between Twitch and YouTube during the April 5 episode of the OfflineTV Podcast. Pokimane is one of the top personalities on Twitch, as her laidback gaming broadcasts have built up a large audience. The star also boasts millions of followers across her Instagram and Twitter, making her a force to be reckoned with. However during the latest episode of the Offline TV podcast, she explained why streaming sometimes has viewers that have a sense of “entitlement” compared to other mediums. Pokimane on difference between Twitch and YouTube During the podcast, Pokimane sat down with fellow members Yvonne, Michael Reeves, and LilyPichu where the group discussed a variety of topics – including their profession. However during the conversation, the Twitch star opened up about the positives of YouTube, while also explaining the downside to streamers and their relationship with viewers. “I do think it’s kind of nice how like, YouTube compared to streaming, like streaming facilitates that kind of feeling towards a content creator. Sort of like entitlement or feeling like you really know them. And feeling like you know them a lot better than they know you,” she said. Pokimane also revealed that she sees similar kind of behavior on forums like Reddit, where threads exist about her, and the people posting act like they know her in real life. “I also see so much of that in threads. Whether it’s Reddit threads, or other forums. It’s amazing how ongoing these threads are. I started realizing as I saw how ongoing they are year after year, I’m just living my life, and these people are just commenting,” she continued. The streamer said she had felt frustration in the past, before letting it go. “Either way they are going to comment. It’s so out of my control that it’s not even worth giving input.” (Timestamp 11:04 for mobile users.) While many dream about becoming famous, there is no denying that being a public figure comes with its own set of problems. And according to the streamer, there are even different challenges between platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. Regardless of the downsides, Pokimane continues to crush it, amassing over 4.2 million followers to her channel in 2020. The Moroccan-Canadian even launched her own successful clothing line in 2019.

In a new stream, Imane gave some advice to those who are trying to make it big in the industry and recalled some of her own experiences from when she was first starting out. The streamer got emotional as she recalled some of the moments earlier on in her career where people told her she would soon fail, telling viewers that she feels like she couldn’t appreciate what she had at the time due to the negativity. “I still remember those words of like, this isn’t going to happen, you’re not going to know how to play the next game, and you’re going to be begging to go back to school,” she said. “I remember it every now and then.” Read More: When does Ludwig’s subathon finish? – With advice for her viewers, the streamer added: “I hope that it can be an example to some to believe in yourself even if other people don’t. You know yourself and your potential better than they do. Perseverance against the naysayers, or the people that don’t believe in you, or the people that wanna put you down for no good reason. “As long as you persevere and you keep trying, someday you will find what works for you and you will be successful in that.” The wise words will no doubt have come as reassurance to rising creators who are battling negativity, with the advice coming from one of the most successful streamers on the platform.

  • Pokimane reveals one key reason she would join OTK over 100 Thieves – Dexerto

Pokimane reveals one key reason she would join OTK over 100 Thieves Twitch: Pokimane / OTK / 100 ThievesImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is an OfflineTV staple, having helped set up the stream team in 2017. However, if she was to leave, she’d move on to OTK — the home of Asmongold and Mizkif — in a heartbeat over an organization like 100 Thieves for one big reason: “fun”. Pokimane’s career in the streaming space is going from one giant leap to another, announcing on October 27 she is co-founding a talent management and brand consulting firm, RTS. The firm aims to “fix the gaming and esports industry”, saving creators from “bad brand deals” and help both sides get the most out of partnerships and sponsorships. She isn’t leaving OfflineTV to start the venture anytime soon. However, Mizkif couldn’t help himself but ask the question on her announcement stream: If she was to leave the content house, where would she go? “If you had to leave OfflineTV and join either 100 Thieves or OTK, who would you join,” Mizkif asked. “OTK,” she said, with a smile. The quick answer shocked Mizkif — a co-owner of OTK — a little bit. “Really?” he asked back, to which Pokimane doubled down and said “yes”. Mizkif couldn’t help but use Poki’s approval to plug his own org: “We have the backing of RTS legend herself Pokimane”. The comment made Pokimane laugh, but there was an actual reason behind the Twitch star’s choice: sponsor agreements. “You guys are just doing sh*t for fun. 100 Thieves, I’d have to do a sponsor [stream] every other day,” the Twitch superstar explained. Mizkif took the time to yet again ‘pitch’ OTK, stating: “Little does she know our fun streams are sponsored but that’s okay. That’s how well we integrate them”. It would still be a good fit though; Pokimane knows a thing or two about sponsored content — it’s a big part of her new firm, after all. While she isn’t leaving OfflineTV anytime soon, you won’t see her joining some big-name esports brands she’s been linked to in the past.

  • Pokimane explains why streaming makes her feel “less lonely” – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why streaming makes her feel “less lonely” Twitch superstar Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed exactly what she loves so much about streaming to hundreds of thousands of fans every day, and why what she does means so much to her. According to the celebrity streamer, who boasts more than 3.5 million followers on Twitch and hit 4 million YouTube subscribers earlier this week, streaming culture is all about “looking for a way to feel a little bit less lonely.” Everyone “in this day and age” is looking for a way to feel like they’re hanging out with other people and having a good time, Anys said, and revealed that was one of her favorite things about being a streamer: that she can brighten people’s days. “I really like the feeling of being able to impact someone’s day, hopefully positively, and sometimes just noticing someone’s comment and reacting to it, and creating enjoyable and entertaining moments for everyone that’s watching,” she said. “In this day and age, we’re all just looking for a way to feel a little bit less lonely, and I think livestreaming does that really well. Seriously, that’s how I feel. That’s what I really love about it… that I can make someone’s day better.” Her chat erupted in agreement with her, which the Twitch star took to mean she was on the right track with her sentiments as well: “You know it’s true when the whole chat starts spamming “True!” when I say that.” Read more: PewDiePie reveals plan for if YouTube failed – Pokimane also expressed her love of Twitch’s format, especially the way that chat can interact with the streaming stars, and said just sitting down for hours and talking to her fans is her “favorite thing to do.” She also added the chance to spam emotes and laugh at inside jokes — basically what Twitch is known for — helped her “be comfortable in front of hundreds of people” because it felt like she was just “hanging and talk to them all at once.” The Twitch star spends most of her time in the Just Chatting category of the website, while dabbling in popular games like Fortnite and League of Legends. She’s also involved with OfflineTV’s regular podcast, and a handful of IRL streams. Her love of games, which comes across during her broadcasts, isn’t a facade that she’s put up either. The 23-year-old admitted she often spends “hours and hours” playing games after she switches off the camera, mainly LoL or Minecraft. “If I want to chill out, I’ll just go back to playing games,” she explained. “Right now I’m really in a mood to play League of Legends, and I was on a Minecraft kick. It’s such a relaxing game to just turn your brain off, and play all night.” For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 12:52. While there’s many that adore the Twitch superstar, it seems like Pokimane isn’t unanimously loved by her fellow streamers — the Moroccan online celebrity allegedly got on art streamer 39daph’s bad side following a series of private messages regarding being unfollowed on Twitter. For the most part, however, Pokimane is a fairly popular figure in the streaming world, regularly receiving gifts from her fans, and even being propositioned by someone wanting to be her ‘sugar daddy’ while at TwitchCon in September.

  • Pokimane explains how Twitch has changed “dramatically” for female streamers – Dexerto

Pokimane explains how Twitch has changed “dramatically” for female streamers Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has claimed that there has been a “dramatic” improvement with the amount of gender diversity on the platform. As a Twitch veteran, Pokimane is widely recognized as a trailblazer for her fellow female content creators but it hasn’t been easy. She’s frequently had to face misogynistic and abusive comments from internet trolls and even her male gaming teammates. However, she’s always fought back against the hate, and the fact that she regularly tops the list of Twitch’s most popular female streamers speaks volumes. Having been streaming since 2013, Pokimane has seen just how much the Amazon-owned platform has changed over the years and how it has become a more inclusive space for women, much to her delight. Pokimane claims Twitch is increasingly “more diversified” Sitting down with the Trash Taste podcast on September 9, Pokimane discussed her extensive Twitch career and her struggles as one of the few female streamers in her early days. She claimed that throughout the years both Twitch as well as its audience have changed “so much” and is becoming “more diversified with every year” with regards to gender which she is incredibly grateful for. Especially, given the amount of sexist behavior she previously experienced playing League of Legends. She added: “Do you guys remember back in the day, especially when League was always the most popular game on Twitch, what was always running rampant was these videos talking about ‘female Twitch streamers and cleavage.’ That was the thing. That was the clickbait everywhere.” (Topic begins at 17:17 in the video) Not only that, but Pokimane became increasingly frustrated with the number of male viewers immediately labeling her as a “cam-girl” because she is a streamer. When asked whether she felt like cam-girls should be blamed for causing this “negative stereotype,” Pokimane responded: “Someone told me once ‘you shouldn’t be upset at the female streamers who are doing that. You should be upset at the guys who are expecting you to do the same thing.’” Unsurprisingly, fans have been increasingly worried about Pokimane having to deal with such behavior. Although, the Twitch star has just returned from a short streaming break and has vowed to dedicate more time to other platforms.

Pokimane explains how she lost $3,000 worth of jewelry at EDC Pokimane, YouTube / FreepikPopular Fortnite Battle Royale broadcasts and hilarious interactions with fans, resulting in some humorous moments – but not everything is sunshine and roses for Poki, as she explained during a June 9 vlog. Pokimane uploaded a vlog on June 9, which detailed her 23rd birthday festivities with such friends as 100 Thieves’ Nadeshot and CouRage, as well as other popular Twitch streamers. However, the celebration didn’t end there; Pokimane later flew out to Las Vegas for the annual electronic dance music festival “Electric Daisy Carnival,” otherwise known as EDC. Pokimane’s trip to EDC Las Vegas saw a gut-wrenching loss for the streamer.https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1133129833376931840?s=20 While she’d traveled there to dance and enjoy the festival’s famously intricate stages, an unfortunate incident occurred in the middle of her day two run – she lost a necklace worth $3,000. Despite this loss, Pokimane was in surprisingly good spirits, claiming that her friends’ efforts to help her find the necklace “overpowered” the blow of losing such an expensive item. “I lost literally the most expensive piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned,” she explained during her vlog. “I didn’t even feel that bad about it, because everybody tried so hard to look for it. It was so cute. My friends’ cuteness overpowered the sadness from losing the necklace. Honestly, it’s whatever. Material goods, replaceable. Experiences, priceless.” [Timestamp: 5:46 for mobile viewers] That wasn’t the only slip-up that occurred during Pokimane’s stay in Vegas, either; the streamer later explained that plane tickets to Los Angeles were upwards of $1,000 the day after EDC, prompting her to extend her stay for a few days with fellow streamer Fedmyster. Pokimane herself had a hard time finding the charm in Vegas, claiming that she didn’t like how establishments in “Sin City” seem like they “try to take as much money as they can” from passersby. The streamer’s vlog of her Vegas experiences follows her awkward interaction with a fan on June 3, who she’d claimed was “white knighting” after warning her about an upcoming jumpscare in a game. “He was a little white knight,” Pokimane joked of the fan. “I was like ‘no, no, I just act mad, I’m not actually mad’ but his heart was in a good place.” Pokimane is one of Twitch’s most popular content creators, boasting over three million followers as of June 9.

  • Pokimane explains hilarious reason why she doesn’t use her legal name – Dexerto

Pokimane explains hilarious reason why she doesn’t use her legal name Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikPopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is known for her hilarious interactions with fans and unexpected moments that crop up during her broadcasts – one of which occurred during her joint stream with fellow streamer ‘Mizkif.’ Pokimane was in the middle of a conversation with Mizkif on May 23 when she asked him what tag she should use, should she ever decide to rebrand herself. Mizkif answered that Pokimane should simply use her legal name if such a rebranding ever came about – a suggestion that Pokimane quickly shot down due to the many jokes that have been made using her real name, Imane Anys. Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys recently reached three million subscribers on the platform, being the 13th person on the site’s history to meet such a milestone.600https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1130571415457951744?s=20 “It’s a letter off of ‘anus,’ so I don’t think I should include it,” Pokimane laughingly said of her last name. “I’ve lived with this name my whole life. If you think I don’t know every single meme… On top of that, when you connect my first and last name, Imane Anys, you could just write, like, ‘I’m an anus.’” Mizkif found Pokimane’s explanation hilarious, and went on to poke fun at the Twitch chat for inciting such jokes, comparing them to preschoolers. “A lot of time, Twitch chat is like a preschool generator, so when you give them an insult, they’ll just keep generating it,” Mizkif said of the matter. Pokimane is well-versed in the immaturity expressed by some members of the online gaming community; in fact, the streamer was left floored by the behavior of old-school RuneScape players during a broadcast of the game on May 16, after they gathered in the shape of a phallus that displayed on her mini-map for all to see. “The minimap – you guys made a… that is some impressive coordination, I won’t even lie,” Pokimane said laughingly. “Dude, RuneScape is something else.” Of course, Pokimane has likewise had multiple run-ins with actual children during her streams, one of which expressed blatantly problematic behaviorFortnite Battle Royale. Pokimane is one of the most popular female streamers on Twitch, having recently reached 3 million followers on the platform – a feat that only 13 streamers have been able to meet, thus far.

Pokimane explains how GTA RP friends are actually better than her IRL friends Twitch: PokimanePopular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed that her friends on GTA RP have been nicer than her IRL friends, noting a few instances of them talking badly about her behind her back. Since beginning her streaming career in 2013, Pokimane has amassed nine million followers on Twitch — making her one of the most popular streamers on the Amazon-owned platform. Recently, the creator has been involved with a bit of drama involving her controversial DMCA ban, as well as collaborating with Jidion after he orchestrated a ‘hate raid’ against her in January. During a recent stream, the creator revealed that while everything has been going on, she has dealt with a few instances of her friends talking about her behind her back — and that her GTA RP friends have been nicer. Pokimane’s GTA RP friends While chatting with her community, Pokimane revealed that her GTA RP friends have been nicer than her real-life friends and that it “blows her mind a little bit.” “But the big reason I’m saying that is that in the last couple of weeks, there have been two or three instances where I find out that a friend of mine has been talking s**t about me behind my back,” she explained. Poki went on to note that it’s never been a big problem because she’s usually not close enough with people to have comments bother her. However, she said: “These aren’t people I’m super close with, but definitely friends that I’ve known for a long time.” Fans of Kevin can be assured that he’s not the issue, as she made it clear that he’s the “nicest person ever.” She also mentioned that the issue isn’t any of her more popular friends. She said: “I don’t think it would be anyone you would be able to guess.” While Poki has had drama regarding her ‘hate raid’ from Jidion recently, she revealed on February 23 why she reached out to the creator after his public apology.

Pokimane explains her bizarre method of eating pizza Pokimane, YouTube / FreepikPopular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is no stranger to trolls and harassment, thanks to her status as an internet star – but one of her strange eating habits is inciting some understandable confusion across the web. Pokimane uploaded a YouTube video on June 21, where she responded to fans’ speculations and rumors about her private life. Her video included everything from her career choices to her relationship status – and even touched on a hilarious moment captured during one of her streams. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s most popular female content creators, boasting over 3 million followers on the platform as of June 22.https://www.instagram.com/p/BylLvB8lBkV/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link While everyone else might eat their pizza with the topping side up, Pokimane chooses to eat her pies a different way – by placing the topping side down, resulting in more than a few confused queries as to why she eats pizza in such a strange manner. “This is a public service announcement,” Pokimane began, holding up her hand. “Let’s say this is a pizza. All the toppings are here. The yummy part is here. Why would you put the yummy part on the roof of your mouth? You gotta flip the pizza, put the yummy part on your tongue so you can taste it.” [Timestamp: 3:45 for mobile viewers] The streamer went on to encourage her audience to try her pizza-eating methods, asking them to give it a whirl before “cancelling” her in the comments section. Pokimane wouldn’t be the first streamer to share her strange eating habits with the world, by far; controversial Twitch streamer Amouranth likewise turned heads in early February, after another broadcaster noticed that she didn’t chew her food while eating. Amouranth later explained that the braces on her back teeth prevented her from chewing, as wax from the mouthpiece would come loose and hurt her tongue. “I can’t chew my food bro,” she revealed during an episode of the ‘Scuffed’ podcast. “I have braces on the back of my teeth and if I chew my food, the wax comes off and my tongue gets cut up.” Despite their oddities, both Amouranth and Pokimane continue to boast massive audiences on Twitch, with the streamers boasting over 1 million and 3 million followers on the platform as of June 22, respectively.

  • Pokimane explains her problem with Squid Game after finishing it – Dexerto

Pokimane explains her problem with Squid Game after finishing it Pokimane / NetflixPokimane has shared her thoughts on Squid Game after binge-watching the series, arguing that there was too much “shock value” in the show despite enjoying the plotline. Netflix has had plenty of hit shows over the past 12 months, from The Queen’s Gambit to Bridgerton, but current viral sensation Squid Game is on track to be its biggest series ever, according to the company’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos. The South Korean TV series follows a group of everyday people who are invited to take part in a series of childhood games. If they win, they’ll get a huge sum of money to pay off their debts, but if they lose, there are deadly consequences. This morbid-yet-addictive concept has got viewers around the world talking, but one person who isn’t completely sold on the show is streaming superstar Pokimane, who found the “shock value” and violence to be a little too much. “I just finished Squid Game and I can’t believe so many of you guys recommended it to me, it’s so gory! I really, really liked the plotline, but it’s so gory,” she said during a livestream on Twitch. “I liked some of the twists and turns they had, but it felt like there was almost too much shock value gore. I didn’t need to see that much. But that’s a personal preference because I’m a big baby.” There was one scene in particular that Pokimane pointed out (don’t worry, we won’t be sharing spoilers), adding: “I liked the tail-end of it, but I did not like that last scene.” Love it or hate it, there’s no denying how much of a storm Squid Game is causing around the world. It’s led to plenty of viral content on TikTok, too, with one video showing how difficult the challenges in the show really are and another criticizing the translation errors in the English subtitles.

  • Pokimane encourages “well-off” streamers not to play Activision Blizzard games – Dexerto

Pokimane encourages “well-off” streamers not to play Activision Blizzard games PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys said that streamers who are “financially well-off” shouldn’t play Activision Blizzard titles. Video game company Activision Blizzard has been involved in multiple controversies in 2021, highlighted by a lawsuit filed against them from the state of California. Since then, the company has been publicly condemned by gaming figures like Xbox boss Phil Spencer and PlayStation chief Jim Ryan. The Game Awards also confirmed that no Activision Blizzard titles would appear during the award show. Now, Twitch streamer Pokimane has shared why she believes fellow popular streamers should distance themselves from playing the company’s games. Pokimane on Activision Blizzard controversy During a stream on December 8, Pokimane outlined her feelings on streamers playing Activision Blizzard titles. “I think if you are a financially well-off streamer, you just f**kin’ shouldn’t,” she stated. “However, I do understand that some people may be in a situation where their income is heavily based around a Blizzard game. But I think in that case, they should still be extremely vocal about how they’re against this if they are still gonna play their game.” Poki herself hasn’t played any of the company’s games on stream since the lawsuit against them went public in July 2021. While she encouraged successful streamers to stay away from Activision Blizzard titles, she also understands there are many small creators out there who can’t abandon the games so easily. In those instances, though, she’d like to see streamers still be vocal in their criticisms of the Activision Blizzard’s actions.

  • Pokimane embraces her ‘inner potato’ on stream with whimsical Snapchat filter – Dexerto

Pokimane embraces her ‘inner potato’ on stream with whimsical Snapchat filter Twitch:PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys switched things up on her latest stream, becoming a potato for the day. Fans were mostly delighted with the change while some took the opportunity to lightly roast her. In the midst of her April 20 broadcast, Poki pivoted to a “smol potato stream” before providing the title with visuals to back it up. Playing around with filters at the start of the stream, eventually, she settled onto turning her face into a potato. Yes, an actual potato. Twitch chat was quick to respond, telling the streamer she’s now called ‘Potatomane.’ Anys responded saying “Potatomane, I like that!” before renaming the stream “Potatomane stream, solo q ranked.” The comments on the Mrs. Potato Head lookalike didn’t stop, with many quick to point out the date she’d chosen to embrace the potato life. “On 4/20 ‘Baked potato’ That’s a good joke! I like that one.” More people, off of the back of the VTuber tag drama currently unfolding, were keen for Anys to start using the VTuber tag in an authentic fashion. “People said ‘you should use the VTuber tag’. I was like, I’m good.” Though many started calling the starchy streamer a PTuber instead. Surprisingly, rather than a filter catching major attention, Pokimane caught heat from fellow streamers during a game of ranked Valorant. After starting the stream discussing her mic choices, saying “I could use my mic, or I could just bring the Logitech mic closer,” a teammate called her out mid-game after an outburst saying “You know, you may need to buy a better mic.” Fearing stream snipers, Imane turned her screen black for the end of the game’s stream saying “Why black screen? cause they were just a little weird at the end.” The potato-based shenanigans potentially came about as an after-effect of hanging out with Fuslie during Coachella who donned the potato face often throughout much of 2021.

Pokimane encourages shy fan who thinks he’s ugly to show his face YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane encouraged a shy guy on Omegle who he was afraid to show his face on camera due to low self-esteem about his looks. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s top broadcasters, currently ranking as the site’s 10th most-followed streamer on top of being its most-followed female content creator, overall. As such, it makes sense that quite a few people using social media have probably heard of her — so it came as little surprise that, when she decided to peruse Omegle for a YouTube video, quite a few of the strangers she met actually knew who she was. For those out of the loop, Omegle is a website that allows you to enter chat rooms with strangers based on a series of prompts, or just completely randomly. These chat rooms can have video or be text-only. During one of her conversations with online randoms, Poki ran into a young man who recognized her. However, he initially refused to show his face on camera, instead choosing to show his hairline from where he sat in his home. Pokimane gasses up fan scared to show his face At first, Pokimane was confused. “Why are you only showing your forehead?” she asked. “Not even, it’s just your hairline.” “I’m not showing my face,” he replied. “I get embarrassed. …I’m not very good-looking.” This surprised Pokimane, who asked the guy to show his face so she could judge for herself whether or not he was as plain as he claimed. He finally turned the camera to show off his mug — and Pokimane was shocked. “Why are you saying you’re not very good looking?” she asked in genuine confusion. “You look so normal. Like, there’s nothing wrong with you.” “Oh, thank you!” the young lad replied. “You really think you’re not good-looking?” a surprised Poki asked. “How old are you?” “Eighteen,” he answered. “You should not feel that way about yourself,” Anys encouraged him. “What in the world would make you feel that way? And you’re so young! Show your face to the world forever!” (Topic begins at 2:38) She ended their conversation after the young man answered that he would do as she asked — hopefully facing the rest of his day with confidence after one of Twitch’s top streamers reassured him about his looks. This isn’t the first time Pokimane has spoken out about self-image on the internet lately. In fact, just a week ago, Anys had an open conversation with fans about the dangers of social media and how it makes some users “obsessed” with their image.

  • Pokimane donator “exposes” Minecraft streamer for browsing her foot subreddit – Dexerto

Pokimane donator “exposes” Minecraft streamer for browsing her foot subreddit Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikFortnite – but she’s recently delved into Minecraft, a game that saw an equally hilarious interaction between herself and a fellow streamer. While Pokimane continues to play Fortnite, she, like many other streamers, has hopped on the recent Minecraft craze, often broadcasting the game alongside fellow streamer “Fitz.” Although she and Fitz often share funny moments in the game, her September 4 broadcast saw a downright comedic incident after a donator “exposed” Pokimane’s gaming partner. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B1xAHF4Fqif/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkPokimane interrupted her stream to share the donation with Fitz, pausing their conversation to read the message aloud. “Um, I just got a donation that I think I need to share with you,” she began. “…‘Hi there, Pokimane. I am the moderator of r/pokimanefeet. I would like to report some interesting data. Someone by the name of Fitz has been on our Reddit for an oddly long amount of time. Just thought you’d like to know in case you know this person.’” Rather than coming up with a humorous response, Fitz actually ended their Discord call – and even abruptly ended his stream, as though embarrassed that he got “called out.” In fact, his charade was so convincing that Pokimane thought he had actually ended his stream after getting outed for using the subreddit. “Wait, is he actually ending?” she cried. “I thought it was a meme! Wait – tell me you guys are trolling. Oh, he fake ended. This isn’t a real end.” As it so happens, the r/pokimanefeet subreddit only boasts a single post, which is tied to an imgur link labeled “best feet on Twitch.” While unsuspecting fans might think they’re in for a pic of Pokimane’s tooties, the link actually sends them to a photo of popular streamer Dr Disrespect, instead – a fitting troll for a hilarious concept. 600https://i.imgur.com/P9fpVlI.jpgAlthough the donator was obviously joking about Fitz using the subreddit, his response made for a comedic moment that will forever live in the annals of Twitch shenanigans.

  • Pokimane embarrassed after realizing she doesn’t know how blinds work – Dexerto

Pokimane embarrassed after realizing she doesn’t know how blinds work Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left red in the face after realizing she didn’t actually understand how window blinds work, relying on her audience to bail her out. Pokimane is the biggest streamers on Twitch, comfortably ahead of second-placed female streamer Amouranth. She boasts over 3.6 million followers, and has become known for her down-to-earth and relaxed streams. However, on December 20, the 23-year-old was left scratching her head as she tried to work out how to close her blinds in order to stop the sun from ruining her setup, as well as inhibiting her from seeing her screens. Anys was only a few minutes into her stream and was trying to ensure her setup was as viewer-friendly as it could be. However, the Californian sun proved problematic, glaring obnoxiously into her eyes. Poki proceeded to mess around with her blinds, but couldn’t work out how to tighten them sufficiently. In the end, she just sat in the glaring sunlight, explaining that: “This is as tight as I can get the blinds.” While Poki struggled in the powerful sunlight, her Twitch chat simply suggested to turn the blind the other way, a recommendation she took a couple of minutes later. “Turn them the other way?” she said, looking confused. She then sat back down laughing, seemingly in disbelief at the fact she couldn’t work out how to work the blinds out. However, she is not the only streamer to have difficulties with blinds of late. Also on December 20, Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo was left baffled after his chat instructed him on how to successfully close the blinds. Both streamers were left embarrassed after struggling with a relatively simple task, much to the delight of their respective audiences. The two streamers are known for interacting with one another, most recently when Mizkif poked fun at Pokimane’s drama with 39daph, back at the end of October. Given that they both struggled with the same task, we won’t see Mizkif poking fun at Poki for this particular hiccup.

  • Pokimane disturbed after discovering “wild” YouTuber role players – Dexerto

Pokimane disturbed after discovering “wild” YouTuber role players Freepik.com / Pokimane, TwitchImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular broadcasters, boasting a fanbase of over 3.9 million followers on the site — but some of these fans have taken their enthusiasm to the next level. Role-playing is a popular pastime in online communities, with users taking on the guise of fictional characters to create an imaginary scenario with fellow players. However, these games aren’t limited to fictitious personas; sometimes, role-players will act like actual people, such as movie stars, musicians, and even top YouTubers or Twitch streamers. Pokimane has apparently just discovered this internet subculture — and it doesn’t look like she’s incredibly jazzed about the idea of people role-playing as her for their own imaginary storylines. The streamer addressed the matter in a March 2 tweet, appearing to be wholly flummoxed by the community of people who role-play as YouTube stars. “Holy s**t, I just found out there are accounts that role-play, but they pretend to be me,” she wrote. “While role-playing… with other people… pretending to be other YouTubers?? Y’all too wild on Twitter fr.” holy shit i just found out there are accounts that roleplay but they pretend to be me.. while roleplaying.. with other people.. pretending to be other youtubers?? y’all too wild on twitter fr 😩 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) March 3, 2020 That’s not all: Pokimane appeared to have discovered a rather risque corner of this role-playing world, as evidenced by her reply to a fan’s comment on the post. “The worst are the HORNY role-play ones,” the fan said. “Unfortunately, that’s what I was referring to,” the star streamer replied. She’s not the only top YouTuber dealing with such inappropriate role-players, either; fellow content creator Sean ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin likewise claimed to have dealt with such fans and even had to directly address the issue after it got out of hand. “It gets really weird!” he said of his experiences. “Had to confront it a few times over the years.” Even imPaulsive’s Mike Majlak weighed in on the subject, calling such role-players “f**king insane (while jokingly asking that they not kill off his character in their scenarios).” not insane in a bad way fan-fickers please don’t roleplay kill my fan-fic character — Mike Majlak (@mikemajlak) March 3, 2020 Although being an internet celebrity can seem all sunshine and roses, many online stars have little in the way of personal privacy, with fans taking their enthusiasm to new levels at the cost of their favorite streamers’ personal boundaries.

  • Pokimane disgusted after unknowingly eating a bug live on stream – Dexerto

Pokimane disgusted after unknowingly eating a bug live on stream Pokimane / TwitchRecently unbanned Twitch streamer Fedmyster surprised his housemate and fellow streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys, by having her eat a bug live on her April 16 broadcast. Pokimane, the most popular female streamer on Twitch, had recently returned from her trip to Europe, visiting Paris and then Berlin for the first European TwitchCon event. On her trip, she enjoyed plenty foreign delicacies, eating out in fine Parisian restaurants, but nothing could prepare her for the culinary tricks that Fedmyster had planned. Both Pokimane and Fedmyster are members of ‘Offline TV‘, a group which also features other popular streamers and YouTubers like LilyPichu and DisguisedToast. The pair stay together, based in California, and Fed is often guilty of playing pranks on Pokimane as she streams, but his latest is perhaps the cruelest yet. As he approaches Anys, he instructs her to close her eyes and open her mouth, and Pokimane obliges – but would soon regret it – after Fedmyster placed the dead grasshopper in her mouth and told her to chew. After a few chomps, Pokimane clearly got suspicous, first wondering if it was a hot chilli, but then spitting out the chewed bug after realizing what she was actually eating. Grasshoppers are safe for humans to eat once cooked (which presumably Fedmyster had, or else Pokimane could become ill from any parasites the insect was carrying), and some suggest they are ‘delicious’ – although when you’re not expecting it, it’s understandably a shock. Fedmyster did reassure Pokimane that it was completely harmless, though that didn’t appear to make her any less disgusted by what she had (almost) eaten. At least they are nutritious, packed with protein and fibre, so whatever small amount that Pokimane did consume would do her more good than harm.

  • Pokimane dishes out perfect roast for Twitch fan claiming she looks “chubby” – Dexerto

Pokimane dishes out perfect roast for Twitch fan claiming she looks “chubby” Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has reminded fans to think twice before trying to roast her mid-stream, bringing back a classic clip of a perfect clap back after a viewer claimed she was looking “kind of chubby.” Pokimane is no stranger to Twitch fans trying to get a rise out of her, whether it be them claiming she doesn’t deserve her Valorant rank or professing their love. In fact, as she’s risen to one of the biggest creators on the platform — Pokimane now boasts 8.4m followers — the 25-year-old has copped her fair share of over-eager Twitch fans trying to get their fifteen seconds of fame. That has now placed her firmly among the best on the site to deal with hecklers. The Twitch star has given her fans a timely reminder they should think twice before sending mean or abusive messages recently too, after one viewer tried to ‘call out’ Pokimane over her weight. They wrote: “Not to be mean, you look kind of chubby.” Pokimane, ever the master of dealing with Twitch trolls, had a quick think about their message before landing an absolute haymaker of a witty response. The Moroccan-Canadian streamer puffed out her cheeks, looked directly into her Twitch camera, and then clapped back in response, both physically and verbally. “Damn, this is my life?” the star immediately said in response, lacing sarcasm through her response. “Sitting here, having people pay to call me ‘chubby.’ I can’t tell if that’s a good thing. Does that say more about me, or about you?” Then, Pokimane went on the offensive. “I’ve never paid to tell anybody anything,” she said. “Are you into that sort of thing? You can tell me! We keep secrets here. I won’t tell no one… I don’t kink-shame!” Pokimane didn’t see that perturbed by the Twitch troll, however. Pocketing their $2 donation just to roast them in front of thousands probably helped her laugh it off too. The clip is actually an old one – but Pokimane reuploaded it to her 2nd channel on November 4. She’s had far worse to worry about on-stream recently too, and more of her own making; late last week, the Twitch star nearly burned down her streaming setup while trying to fiddle with her background light. Everything worked out okay in the end — minus the lamp — but it was a close call. Pokimane is also making moves outside Twitch too: on October 27 she unveiled her own company, a talent management and streaming brand consulting firm.

  • Pokimane destroys Twitch troll for saying she’s wearing “too much makeup” – Dexerto

Pokimane destroys Twitch troll for saying she’s wearing “too much makeup” Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane had the perfect response to an internet troll who lashed out at her for wearing “too much” makeup without checking their own username, first. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed female streamer on Twitch and one of the platform’s most prominent broadcasters, overall. Boasting over 9 million followers on the site, Pokimane has accrued quite an expansive fanbase for herself over the years… as well as a few haters along the way. Pokimane has fielded criticism from trolls throughout her decade-long career as an online entertainer, most notably when she went makeup-free during a viral broadcast back in 2018. The incident saw increased backlash against the streamer from netizens making fun of her appearance. This time, though, she’s taking heat for wearing “too much” makeup — but she had the perfect reply to such a comment that turned the onus back on her critics. Pokimane hits back at troll for saying she has “way too much makeup” on During a December 2022 stream, a viewer by the name of ‘the_soft_poo’ told Pokimane that she had “way too much makeup on.” Anys instantly pounced on the chatter’s username, poking fun at them for giving themselves such an odd name while being brave enough to criticize her appearance in front of thousands of viewers. “I’ma be honest,” Poki began. “How does somebody say some sh*t like this — ‘You got way too much makeup on’ — with a username like this? Your name is ‘the_soft_poo!’” “Nah, you don’t have to time him out,” she continued after mods timed out the chatter as a result of his mean message. “Like, he’s already punishing himself. Look at this f*cking username. What is that? How do you want me to take your opinion seriously when your name is ‘the_soft_poo?’” This is far from the first time she’s hit back at trolls giving her grief for her use of makeup, or lack thereof. In February 2022, Anys hit critics with a zinger that still stings to this day, saying her makeup-free face “makes more money than you’ll ever see in your life” in a viral Tweet.

  • Pokimane in disbelief at the immaturity of the RuneScape community – Dexerto

Pokimane in disbelief at the immaturity of the RuneScape community Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left speechless after encountering a group of immature, but admittedly creative, players during her adventures on Old School RuneScape. Pokimane is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and recently hit 3 million followers on the platform, becoming only the 13 person to reach such a milestone, beating the likes of Lirik and Tyler1 to the landmark. The streamer tweeted out on May 16 looking to gauge whether her audience would be interested in watching her play the popular online role-playing game, Old School RuneScape, and received an overwhelmingly positive response. ..would anyone be interested in watching me play runescape tomorrow.. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) May 16, 2019 She eventually decided to stream the game before a number of players were able to track down her location in game and managed to create an immature piece of art which was visible on the minimap. It appeared a group of more than 30 users banded together and formed a phallic shape which left Pokimane lost for words. “The minimap – you guys made a…” she said with a look of shock on her face. The 23-year-old did praise the efforts of the players who successfully stayed in formation to create plenty of laughs in her Twitch chat. “That is some impressive coordination,” she said, “I won’t even lie. RuneScape is something else.” However, it was confirmed on Reddit that the art was created by bots which allow one player to control as many as 20 accounts at one time. It proved to be the final straw for Pokimane with Old School RuneScape, as she swiftly moved over to Fortnite Battle Royale following the encounter.

  • Pokimane denies new Fedmyster claims, says he sent “admission of guilt” – Dexerto

Pokimane denies new Fedmyster claims, says he sent “admission of guilt” Instagram: FedmysterImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has hit back at claims made by former OfflineTV streamer Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan in a leaked exposé document, and revealed the disgraced Twitch star sent her what she believes is an “admission of guilt.” [jwplayer KD1gIhoh] Earlier this year, the OfflineTV house was rocked by accusations of harassment and misconduct leveled at former editor-turned-personality Fedmyster. Several members of the Twitch content group, including Lilypichu and Yvonne, detailed how Gaytan would “come to [their] room, drunk” and “massage [their] feet and thighs.” Yvonne also revealed he had “crawled in bed” with her, kissed her cheek, and put his hand up her shirt. These accusations were compounded when Pokimane claimed Fed had been a “big reason” why she moved out of the house. Fedmyster was subsequently expelled from the OfflineTV house, and removed from the company. After months of silence from the Twitch streamer, a document leaked online on Nov. 24, which mainly detailed Fed’s relationship with Pokimane. In the unreleased exposé titled “My Truth”, which Dexerto has read copies of, Gaytan, 25, accused Pokimane of “twisting the truth” about their relationship. Pokimane has now hit back, speaking about the leaked document in a short Twitch stream on Wednesday. In her response, she suggests Fedmyster sent her an “admission of guilt” in regards to his “manipulative” actions. Fedmyster allegedly sent Pokimane “admission of guilt” Anys, who admitted she’s already seen several versions of the Fedmyster document, doubled down on her previous June 29 claims. According to the Twitch star, Fed’s claim to a potential hookup, Steve, that they were “a thing” was the best example of his manipulation. “I want to make it clear that, to me, this incident [with Steve] was clearly a mess-up on Fed’s part. I confronted Fed, he apologized… he admitted fault,” she said. Pokimane revealed she messaged Fedmyster ahead of her ‘tell-all’ stream in June, asking if there was anything she “should maybe leave out.” When Gaytan requested she skip over the incident with Steve at the party, however, she refused. “He said ‘if you can… leave out the Steve stuff, it’s something I wouldn’t like mentioned.’ I couldn’t leave that out. He asked me not to mention it, and I think that’s an admission of guilt, then later he says ‘that’s not how it went down’.” Pokimane says Fed’s claims ‘overshadow’ real issue The problem, she continued, is that Fed has focused on her being a “villain” and leading him on in the leaked document. This focus, which she believes “blows everything out of proportion,” is being used to overshadow the actual OfflineTV accusations. “Essentially we had trouble being close but managing our friendship, knowing he wanted more, but I always felt I was upfront about it… it really bothers me that in this document he tried to make me out as the bad guy,” Pokimane said. “Obviously we weren’t on the same page. I hope you guys can see this from my perspective… I didn’t see a future between the two of us. I thought I was always honest. Looking back, I should have been more aware of how I acted around him, but hindsight is 20/20! “To me, in all honesty, all of this is just not important. It’s regular 20-year-old relationship bullsh*t. What I shared about the situation is my honest truth, and it’s totally irrelevant to the actual incidents that triggered all of this.” Fedmyster says he “stands by document” Fedmyster has addressed the leaked document too; according to the disgraced Twitch star, he had no plans to release the exposé, because it felt like “airing dirty laundry.” “[Poki and I] came to agree that keeping things private and making no further statements publicly was what was best for us…We wanted to heal and prevent any further harm to the people involved,” he explained in a short Twitter post. “On the topic of whether I tried to manipulate our friends to hate her, I still fully stand behind what my document reads but I want to emphasize that it wasn’t my intention to shine Poki in a bad light… I am deeply sorry, and wish I wasn’t so naive and insensitive.” Fedmyster also said he “still believes [he] was mischaracterized,” but added “after talking to Poki I came to understand her perspective. My outlook on the situation as a whole now comes from a better place of understanding.” https://twitter.com/Fedmyster/status/1331689250283155457 Hours after finishing her stream, Anys took to her second Twitter account, where she said she was “looking forward to moving on” from the whole situation. “Sorry, td was tough, it’s hard for me to reply to v private things without making the situation messier + I was not in a good headspace,” she wrote. “ty to those that were understanding. looking forward to moving on.” sorry td was tough, it’s hard for me to reply to v private things without making the situation messier + i was not in a good headspace. ty to those that were understanding, lookin forward to moving on 👍🏼 — imane 💜 (@imane) November 26, 2020 Yvonne and Lilypichu, who were the first to level harassment allegations against Fedmyster, have not yet publicly addressed the leaked document.

  • Pokimane destroys rude viewer after banning them from stream – Dexerto

Pokimane destroys rude viewer after banning them from stream Twitch: PokimaneStreaming star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys took the job of moderating Twitch chat into her own hands as she delivered a killer blow to one rude viewer who told her to ‘shut up.’ When streamers become popular on Twitch, they usually just have to worry about putting on a good show and keeping their fans engaged. That is usually the story for someone like Pokimane who has almost four million followers on the livestreaming platform. However, now and again, they sometimes have to take matters into their own hands and show their moderators how things are done when viewers get a little out of hand. That was the case during Pokimane’s February 8 stream, as she was interrupted by a rude viewer. The streamer paused the clip she was watching and pulled up her chat on-screen – showing that a recent message had told her that she needed to “shut the f**k up,” even though it was her own channel. “You know what’s so funny? When people are in my chat saying stuff like this and they want me to shut up, but I can literally make them shut up forever,” Poki said as she immediately dished out a ban and began laughing. “Like, I can actually do that! And he’s still sitting at home watching me talk – look, I’m talking and you, you can’t say anything! Now what, you know, now what?” Pokimane added, leaving her chat in floods of laughter as they spammed the chat. Of course, as Poki showed, its never a good idea to try and dictate to a streamer on their very own channel – especially when they’re someone like her who keeps chat up and open to one side of the screen. Maybe next time, the trolls might get lucky and have a similar message slip through the cracks, but they should be aware that the streamer is watching and isn’t afraid to dish out a suspension.

  • Pokimane defends herself in interview with ‘Dark Side of Pokimane’ creator – Dexerto

Pokimane defends herself in interview with ‘Dark Side of Pokimane’ creator Pokimane / YouTubeTwitch streamer Pokimane has been caught up in controversy to start off 2019, after other YouTubers, including PewDiePie, called her out on various issues. One YouTuber, Fainted, made a now viral video titled ‘The Dark Side of Pokimane’, which now has over 3 million views, and helped boost his channel from only 500 subscribers to over 180,000. Fainted’s video focused on Pokimane’s on-stream conversation with a YouTuber named ‘davcev’, who admitted to using her content and sensationalist titles to attract viewers to his channel. Pokimane was criticized for claiming she would file copyright strikes on Davcev’s channel, as well as displaying and mocking his instagram page live on her stream. Pokimane responded to both Fainted and PewDiePie’s video later, but some fans were not satisfied that she had addressed all the criticisms made, and so had now completed an interview with Fainted himself. The pair discuss various issues which they had with each other’s video, as Pokimane attempts to touch on any points made in the ‘Dark Side’ video she missed, including the debate around showing the Instagram page on stream. Pokimane claims, contrary to popular belief, that her fans did not in fact brigade Davcev’s profile with hate comments, as Fainted suggested they would. “Nobody, as far as I know, I checked some of his pics, and none of my viewers said anything to him. And that’s because in general, I don’t promote that kind of thing, nor would I allow that kind of thing.” The streamer does admit however that she was wrong to have had the conversation with Davcev publicly, and restated that it was caused by a ‘moment of frustration.” As for the copyright strike of another video by ‘Bowblax’, which was a compilation of a Twitter dispute between Pokimane and KEEMSTAR, the streamer is adamant that she was within her right to have the video taken down. “I have triple checked with my MCN, and they are very firm on the fact that it was not fair use. […] I understand that that system gets abused, and it can affect channels really negatively. I want to stand up for videos that are transformative and are fair use.” You can watch Pokimane’s full interview with Fainted and Bowblax below.

Pokimane delivers heartfelt message to fans after finally reaching Twitch milestone pokimanelol Instagram / TwitchImane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys thanked fans in a video as she finally crossed the 3 million followers mark on Twitch, after five years of streaming on the platform. The popular Twitch streamer, who also has over 3.4 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, was quick to show that she is very grateful for the support of her ever growing fanbase on social media, once she had reached the landmark. In celebration, she uploaded a video, thanking everyone for sticking by her since she started streaming as a high school student. It hasn’t been an easy journey Pokimane started streaming on Twitch in her teenage years and, like many other streamers who blow up, she had no idea she’d be as successful as she became. She started out by streaming just for fun, but it has since turned into her full-time job after she grew in popularity. “I wanna say one last time, seriously, thank you guys for supporting me in any way,” she said. “I didn’t realize until I got to this point that having the freedom to pursue what I want to pursue and have such a fulfilling job where I feel like I can have a positive influence on everyone’s day, I am so lucky.” we hit 3 MILLION followers on Twitch :sob::raised_hands::skin-tone-2: never imagined growing a community to this size when I started streaming just for fun, in highschool, 5 years ago. thank you to anyone that supported me along the way :partying::heart:️ pic.twitter.com/F6xXxan0DI — pokimane (@pokimanelol) May 11, 2019 This wasn’t something that she just spotted in the off chance, though, as she was waiting to hit three million followers during a livestream. The celebration wasn’t going to be marred by some fans that started to troll her, though, forcing her to unfollow a few of them – meaning that reached the landmark not once, but twice. When asked if she reached the goal yet, she had to clarify what happened. “I did and they unfollowed to jebait me,” she explained. 3 million followers isn’t an easy task Reaching this many followers isn’t something many people have been able to pull off on Twitch, despite the platform being around for several years at this point. According to TwitchMetrics, Pokimane is just the 13th person to reach the milestone, besting the likes of Tyler1, Lirik and Sodapoppin. Not to take away from this accomplishment, but she still has a way to go to get to the very top, as Ninja is currently sitting at number one with over 14 million followers.

Pokimane defends fan after “cute” drawing is criticized by Reddit Instagram: PokimanePokimane defended a fan after their “cute” drawing of her was criticized by others on social media, slamming it as “unnecessary” behavior and calling out the main perpetrator. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys knows her fans will always have her back. But they’ll be glad to know she has their back, too, especially when they’re subject to “unnecessary” criticism over something as simple as a drawing. Believe it or not, that’s exactly what happened in this thread. It all started when a fan named ‘Veoxylia’ uploading an “art style exploration” drawing that was essentially a stylish portrait of Pokemon. However, it didn’t sit well with another member on the OfflineTV subreddit, who claimed they “really liked the style, it looks super cute” but believed it “didn’t look that much like Poki” and didn’t have her “very distinct pear shape body type.” Pokimane stumbled upon the picture while trawling through the subreddit live on stream and had nothing but kind words to the fan who drew the picture. “This is immensely cute,” she said. ‘Thank you.” The ecstatic fan responded, saying, “I can’t believe I failed to see [you write a response] live on stream. I’m so glad you like it!” But she was shocked to see the criticism and had some fiery words to say to the person who commented. Initially, she planned to write, “Hey, dude, I know you’re not trying to come across as being rude, but this type of criticism is just unnecessary, my friend. It’s just a drawing.” Then, she wondered whether it was worth saying anything at all. “I don’t even know if there’s much else to say. Do I really need to get into it?” she said to her fans as she deleted the message. In the end, though, she couldn’t let it sit and decided to write something similar but with a little more attitude. Read More: How does Pokimane make money? – “Hey, dude, who asked? On the real, though, this type of “criticism” is a bit unnecessary. It’s just a drawing.” Fortunately, it all worked out for the fan who drew it. It seems like they didn’t take the criticism to heart and was just happy to know their favorite streamer saw it and loved it. On the other hand, the person who criticized it never responded, and although they weren’t trying to be rude, they learned a valuable lesson.

  • Pokimane defends going after YouTuber’s sponsor over “anti-simp” video – Dexerto

Pokimane defends going after YouTuber’s sponsor over “anti-simp” video Twitch: Pokimane[jwplayer Y7PB7YwV]On June 18, Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys defended her actions after she called out the sponsor of content creator ‘ItsAGundam.’ The popular streamer hit out at the YouTuber after he jokingly called her fans “simps” in a video in May. During a May 16 broadcast, Pokimane launched into a rant against YouTuber ItsAGundam after he mocked her fans. The streamer hit out at the company that sponsored him, and criticized them for putting their name behind a video that “talked s**t” on her for over 20 minutes. The Twitch star received backlash for her actions from some viewers who were upset that she went after another creator’s sponsorship deal. However a month later, the personality defended her actions, and explained why she thinks calling out companies for who they back is sometimes justified. Pokimane defends herself after sponsorship backlash The streamer had just announced her clothing brand partnership with YouTubers Jacksepticeye and Markiplier when her controversy with ItsAGundam was brought up in the comments. Responding, the Moroccan-Canadian argued that it’s okay to go after sponsors depending on the content. “I don’t condone going after someone or their sponsors simply [because] you disagree with them or [because] you dislike them…I also think content that spreads lies, misinformation, and insults based on their looks shouldn’t be sponsored,” she tweeted. In a second tweet, she followed up by stating that the size of the Gundam’s channel was irrelevant, and that content like his can be damaging for both the subject being made fun of and their fans. “That sort of thing can traumatize people/fans + cause a lot of unnecessary hate. I understand if you disagree with my stance, but this is just my opinion, as you are allowed to have and share yours.” Her post immediately sparked backlash from users such as ‘hiimmrci’ who argued that her rant against the YouTuber sent her fanbase to “attack his video, channel and sponsors.” Replying, the Twitch star exclaimed, “Have you ever considered the hate I get from videos that call me a th*t for no reason / lie about my fans? I specifically tell my viewers to not attack others.” ItsAGundam himself reacted to her defense on June 20, and was confused by her claims that he had “lied” about her. “So now I made the video to lie on her? she keeps spinning the narrative…I admitted my mistake, I made the video to laugh at funny tweets,” he said. After users pressed the Twitch star further about her saying the YouTube personality had lied, she clarified what her issue with the clip was. “The tweets he showed were blatant jokes/memes and he created a whole false narrative around it. They’re not real [people] going homeless from donations. I didn’t watch the full video and I’m not inclined to considering what I’ve already seen,” she tweeted on June 19. The popular streamer then told her followers that she had no desire to speak further on the issue, and reiterated her stance on the whole on the incident. Gundam has not commented further, except for a tweet that joked “Poki NOOOOo people were forgetting!” Regardless of where you fall on the topic of content creators calling out sponsors, it has become a heated issue within the community lately. In May, both YouTubers Ethan’ h3h3′ Klein and Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem had sponsorships dropped after the companies were brought up in their feud. Despite the backlash, Pokimane continues to be a dominant force on Twitch. At the time of writing, the star has amassed over 5.1 million followers to her channel. In June, she announced that she’s moving out of the OfflineTV house to live with some of her close friends.

Pokimane debuts new hairstyle and fans are loving it Instagram: pokimanelol / Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys started up her November 9 stream with an all-new hairstyle, and it’s safe to say that fans are over the moon about her new ‘do. Pokimane is one of the net’s most prominent broadcasters. Garnering over 8 million followers on Twitch, she’s become a huge social media superstar, best known for her entertaining gaming streams and hilarious interactions with other content creators. However, one thing has remained constant for the influencer over the years; her hair. While Anys has switched things up with a wig for the occasional cosplay stream, she’s donned straight or wavy brown hair for most of her career. This changed on November 9, when Anys booted up a Twitch broadcast wearing a head full of curls. Her chat instantly exploded with positive reactions and a slew of “POG’s.” https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1458155833053757440 At first, Pokimane admitted that she was nervous to debut her natural curly hair to the world, initially fearing that her viewers would dislike the change. Luckily, the reaction was “overwhelmingly sweet,” leaving the streamer “very, very happy.” The broadcaster went on to explain why she just recently decided to go natural with her hairstyle after years of being “insecure” about her curls. Pokimane explains why she was “insecure” about her hair “My natural hair is something that I was always a little insecure about, because growing up, you just want to fit in,” she revealed. “You just want to look how everybody else looks, or how the popular, straight-hair, blonde haired, blue eyed girls look.” “My mom’s hair is not like mine,” she continued. “And because we immigrated to Canada, and we grew up there, and I had no other family around me, my mom didn’t know how to teach me to do my curly hair, which isn’t her fault. I didn’t look like the girls around me, and I didn’t know how the f**k to style my hair!” Despite her initial reservations, it looks like fans are all about Pokimane’s natural look, marking a new chapter for one of Twitch’s biggest streaming stars.

  • Pokimane debunks ‘adult toy’ YouTube video after Ludwig gets baited – Dexerto

Pokimane debunks ‘adult toy’ YouTube video after Ludwig gets baited Twitch: Ludwig, PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has officially debunked a YouTube video claiming to show off her ‘adult toy’ after Ludwig was baited into clicking it on stream. OfflineTV co-founder Pokimane has had a few on-stream rants recently, including her defending Twitch stans as well as her slamming obsessive fans for asking too many personal questions. During her November 23 stream, she was scrolling through the popular Livestreamfail subreddit when she came across a clip of Ludwig getting tricked by a YouTube video, claiming to show an adult toy laying on her side table. Once she realized what the video actually showed, the OTV streamer roasted Ludwig’s reaction and then explained what was actually in the video. Pokimane debunks ‘adult toy’ video After realizing Ludwig had been baited by the misleading video, she quickly said: “I can’t believe Lud got click baited like this, I always thought it was only 12-year-olds that got click baited by those videos.” Out of curiosity, the creator decided to locate and play the video herself to see what was actually being shown in the video. Once she realized what it was, she said: “GUYS! This is a cat hair shredder thing.” Pokimane then opened up a Google search showing off a cat comb, comparing it to the alleged toy in the video. She added: “Now yall can’t cap me, cause you’re seeing a true side by side.” https://youtu.be/8osNKMS4lsA Poki continued: “The amount of times that people think the items I have are adult toys is way too high. “Yall are really going out of your damn way to make these claims. The funniest part about all of it though is how wrong you guys are all the time.” This isn’t the first time the creator addressed the more personal side of her life. Back in September, she addressed a fan’s question about her sexuality and she even mentioned she’d date a Twitch fan if the situation felt right. No matter what, though, this situation shows that Pokimane won’t hesitate to debunk anything that’s misleading and involving her.

  • Pokimane debuts new hairstyle and fans are divided – Dexerto

Pokimane debuts new hairstyle and fans are divided Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane is trying out a new hairstyle — but her fanbase hasn’t come to a consensus on how they feel about the look just yet. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most-followed streamers on Twitch, on top of being the single most-followed woman on the platform overall. Throughout her career as a top-tier online entertainer, Pokimane hasn’t undergone very many major changes to her personal style — although she did dye her hair a subtle shade of red back in Summer 2022. However, she’s decided to take a big risk with her hair recently… and her fanbase isn’t sure how to feel about the new look. Pokimane’s new bangs are dividing her fanbase On February 17, Anys uploaded a clip to TikTok where she boasted a half-up, half-down hairstyle, with her bangs notably parted in the middle in a ‘curtain’ style. This is a pretty big change for Pokimane, who has had her bangs in a side part for most of her time as a Twitch streamer. She’s also had regular bangs from time to time that have covered up much of her forehead. Anys admitted that she wasn’t too sure about the style, saying she feels as though she looks like a totally different person. “First time wearing a middle part,” she explained. “I feel like I look like a whole new human being. I also feel kinda naked. Like you can see so much of my forehead! Ugh.” Fans in the comments were fairly divided on her new style. Some commenters loved the look, while others claimed her regular bangs suited her far better. “That actually suits you so well, not gonna lie,” one fan wrote. “You look so cute, but bangs suit you so much,” another said. “Miss ma’am, every hairstyle looks good on you,” yet another argued. Still others claimed that her side part was giving her “mom vibes” — something the streamer claimed she noticed from her fans’ comments in a previous Twitch broadcast. For now, it looks like the positive comments are reassuring Pokimane about her new hairstyle, which she seemingly wore to Fashion Week in London. This isn’t the first time Poki has made a big change to her hair; in 2021, she debuted her naturally curly hair in a stream that went viral, and has chosen to wear her hair in its natural state from time to time ever since.

  • Pokimane cuts her nose in bloody laptop accident – Dexerto

Pokimane cuts her nose in bloody laptop accident TikTok: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane revealed that she received a nose injury after an accident with her laptop left the streamer with a cut on her face. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most-followed broadcasters, and one of the site’s most-watched female streamers overall. Although Anys has taken some risks with her fashion style in the past, fans didn’t expect her to show up to one of her recent broadcasts wearing a Band-Aid on her nose. The streamer was quick to address her curious viewers, revealing that she’d actually been injured while watching Netflix in bed one evening. Pokimane reveals laptop accident that led to bloody According to Anys, she was laying in bed watching a K-Drama on her laptop. The streamer explained that she’d had her knees up, with her laptop propped up on her legs. Pokimane claimed that her hair was in her face, so she went to flip her hair back — and in doing so, accidentally caused her laptop to crash forward directly into the bridge of her nose. “The laptop literally — BONK — right on my nose,” she explained in her dramatic retelling of the event. “It bled a little bit. Look at this. It’s just a big gash.” The streamer removed her Band-Aid to show a small cut on her nose before revealing a photo she took of the wound shortly after the incident occurred, revealing a red mark with a small scab of blood on top. “So yeah, be careful watching stuff on your laptop,” she cautioned. “Lest it falls on your face.” This is far from the first time a streamer has revealed an injury; notably, Twitch star JustaMinx showed off a series of cuts on her legs after running into a “wild animal” during a hike and falling into a cactus last year. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like Pokimane’s injury is as severe, and she’s using her own story as a cautionary tale for those who like to watch late-night TV on their laptops in bed.

  • Is Pokimane dating anyone? Why Twitch streamer never addresses relationship rumors – Dexerto

Is Pokimane dating anyone? Why Twitch streamer never addresses relationship rumors Instagram: PokimanelolMany of Pokimane’s fans are constantly wondering about her relationship status. Without a clear answer, fans are still questioning if she is single or dating. However, Poki is often tight-lipped about her private life. Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys has millions of followers across Twitch and other social media platforms. In fact, she is Twitch’s most-followed female streamer. Considering that she’s got so many fans, it’s expected that some of these loyal viewers might be curious about her personal life – in particular, her romantic prospects. However, she has never confirmed nor denied any dating rumors throughout her career. Even though some of her fans are constantly speculating that she might be dating someone on the down-low, or others ‘shipping’ her with other streamers, Pokimane continues to keep her love life close to the chest. Is Pokimane single? As of the most recent update from Pokimane, it would appear that the Twitch star is currently single. However, this update was made some time ago. Imane tweeted in 2021, “single btw,” clearing out any rumors that were revolving around her dating life. She also explained that she is not looking for a partner and is tired of answering the same question from fans over and over again. As Pokimane has made it clear over the years that she isn’t keen on talking about her love life publicly, we can’t say for certain that she’s single or taken at the time of writing this article. Why Pokimane never addresses dating rumors In a tell-all YouTube video, published on January 19th, 2023, Pokimane addressed some assumptions that fans had about her – and why she won’t open up about any questions regarding who she is or isn’t dating. “People have wrongfully assumed that I’ve either dated or been involved with people that I just haven’t,” she said. “Like flat out, I just haven’t. But also, people kind of assume that with every single guy I come into contact with, which is annoying.” “The reason I never address those things — two parts. One: If you are so adamant about not being involved with someone, my concern was that it’s gonna sound so rude if you’re like, ‘No, I’m definitely not dating this person! Yuck!’ You know? I’m always worried about making the guy feel bad.” Another one of her reasons was that if she began “clarifying certain assumptions” about her and other people, “it kind of narrows down who I might see or might not. So, you’ll never know because I will never confirm or deny anything.” This is nothing new; the streamer also addressed the matter back in 2019, saying in a video, “I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of couples out there who make their relationship public. …when they break up, they have to make that public, too. I don’t know if I wanna go through that, know what I’m saying?” (Topic begins at 2:41) Who is Kevin? Fans convinced Pokimane is dating mystery guy Although Pokimane remains staunchly tight-lipped about her dating life, that hasn’t stopped some fans from pairing her with a guy who’s been seen on her streams from time to time. In March of 2023, the streamer riled up some speculation about her relationship status after she described her plus-one for the Streamer Awards as a “handsome man.” This comment about the random guy made fans wonder if she was talking about her partner. Fans thought it might have been ‘Kevin,’ a guy the streamer introduced back in 2021. Kevin has been on-and-off Poki’s broadcast for quite some time, causing hopeful fans to pair the two together romantically. “I think/hope Kevin and Poki are dating – just imagine how pretty their children would be,” one fan wrote in a comment on Poki’s TikTok account. Despite all the shipping, unfortunately for her most curious fans, they will likely never hear Pokimane confirm or deny anything about her relationship status… but she has been open about her career choices, most recently leaving OfflineTV and denying she’d ever join Kick over Twitch.

  • Pokimane criticizes “unhealthy” Twitch subathons after Sykkuno’s viral take – Dexerto

Pokimane criticizes “unhealthy” Twitch subathons after Sykkuno’s viral take YouTube: PokimanePopular Twitch streamer Pokimane levied some criticisms toward subathons while reacting to fellow broadcaster Sykkuno’s take on influencers who abuse the practice. ‘Subathons’ refer to a practice in which online broadcasters incentivize viewers to subscribe to their channel, adding more time onto their streams with each subscription. This can cause streams to go on for days, weeks, and even months. Notably, Twitch streamer Ludwig broke records on Twitch for his hugely profitable 30-day subathon last year. The current record for longest subathon goes to Emilycc, whose subathon is still ongoing at 120 days. While subathons can be a great incentive for streamers to boost their subscriber count, top streamer Pokimane thinks these long streams can be dangerous for their health. Pokimane explains why she’s not a fan of subathons She shared her views on the topic during a recent broadcast, where she reacted to fellow steamer Sykkuno slamming broadcasters who disguise their regular streams as ‘subathons.’ “I’m always a little iffy about subathons for a myriad of reasons — some, including what he’s saying,” she began. “Tactics that some people could consider a little unethical, where you’re kind of pretending you’re streaming but really you’re sleeping and doing other things and just pretending to do a subathon, in a sense.” “But the other reason is, there’s no way subathons are healthy for a human being to do,” she continued. “The fact we are incentivizing it with hundreds of thousands of dollars, major clout, followers, attention — we’re like, ‘Oh my god this person has been streaming for three weeks! Poggers!’ No, they need to go see a doctor.” “‘That’s the point — suffer for my pleasure,’” she said, reading out a comment from her chat. “I think a little bit of that is okay, but a line needs to be drawn at some point, and I don’t really think we draw it at a good point.” (Topic begins at 2:56) While subathons can definitely wear streamers down (even making Ludwig swear off ever doing them again), they certainly have their highlights… like that time a streamer ended their subathon by literally exploding a car.

  • Pokimane crushes stats for most popular female streamer on Twitch – Dexerto

Pokimane crushes stats for most popular female streamer on Twitch Twitch: PokimanePokimane has reigned as the Queen of Twitch for a while now, but new stats released by Streams Charts have shown just how astronomical her popularity really is, with their stats for the month of October making her an easy winner in terms of hours watched by viewers. Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, has over 6.2 million followers on the platform, with her popularity showing no signs of slowing down. In an admirable move, she recently worked with Streamlabs to implement a $5 donation cap for her channel. In her November 2 announcement, she explained that given the support she has received over the last few years, she considers “anything more than that unnecessary”. Most popular female Twitch streamers Given the recent statistics released by Stream Charts, it is clear that Pokimane isn’t overstating her popularity by any means, as she emerged a clear winner in the ‘Most Watched Female Twitch Channels’ chart for the month of October. The results showed that in 31 days alone, Pokimane had amassed an unbelievable 3,525,502 hours watched, putting her way ahead of second-place streamer itsHafu, who raked in 1,824,200 hours watched throughout the month. However, when it came to airtime, Pokimane only ranked 5th on the list with 137.1 hours. The streamer who ranked first for airtime for the month of October was instead Amouranth, who streamed for an impressive 264.9 hours through the month. But, when it comes to YouTube, there is a new streamer in town. According to YouTube Gaming, Valkyrae – who is known for her 100 Thieves content – has become the fastest-growing streamer “in the world”, in part thanks to Among Us content. Viewers have peaked at 66,000 during her livestreams, as Among Us becomes by far the most popular game on YouTube, constantly filling up the trending page. Pokimane also made history on October 2o after joining forces with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in an iconic moment for Twitch. The US politician hosted a three and a half-hour game of ‘Among Us’ on the platform in order to encourage young people to vote. Viewership for the event peaked at 439,000. Of all streamers, Hasan is currently leading the way at the start of November, thanks to his coverage of the US election.

  • Pokimane criticizes Greekgodx’s arguments amid heated xQc drama – Dexerto

Pokimane criticizes Greekgodx’s arguments amid heated xQc drama Following a fiery conversation between streamers xQc and Greekgodx, Pokimane has weighed in criticizing Greek for his egotistical arguments. Greekgodx returned to Twitch to a less than favorable reception from the streaming community. After a series of ‘bad takes’ and a ‘sexist’ rant, Greek has been met with a lot of negative feedback. Following the short ban, Greek would stream again and even found his way onto xQc’s channel. A heated argument between the two streamers broke out with Greek and X hurling insults at one another. The near hour and a half-long discussion on July 8 would become a spectacle as many streamers weighed in with their own opinions. Offering her own criticisms was Pokimane who thought Greek’s head was getting a bit too big. Pokimane weighs in on xQc and Greek drama During one of the more complex topics of their discussion, xQc and Greek argued how a person with no legs could better find happiness. X argued that happiness could be found by staying inside and while Greek claimed happiness was made by going out and winning gold medals. Watching the conversation back, Pokimane stated they both made solid points that she agreed with. However, Greek’s attitude when discussing his side led her to criticize his side more. Greek stated if people with no legs were to live life like him, they would be winning Olympic medals. To which Poki stated, “There’s no f**king way he thinks so highly of himself. There’s no way… oh my god!” “I understand that his point is ‘your mindset will make the difference’, and I don’t disagree. But why is his perspective ‘this is what I would do, and this is what you beta cuck would do? Why not just inspire people to have a good mindset?” She also questioned why Greek felt the need to put himself above others when attempting to inspire anyone. She also criticized when Greek claimed he was “just as equal to everyone else” immediately after comparing himself to xQc. While Greek’s comeback has been relatively negative, it’s worked in his favor. He’s garnered more viewers during recent streams than he did in late June, and he’s back in headlines for sharing his unpopular opinions.

  • Pokimane criticizes Trainwrecks’ defense of gambling streams: “You’re losing people money” – Dexerto

Pokimane criticizes Trainwrecks’ defense of gambling streams: “You’re losing people money” Twitch: Pokimane, TrainwrecksTVGambling streams have become increasingly common on Twitch, as top streamers broadcast their gambling wins and losses to thousands of viewers. That said, they’ve also been a highly-debated topic, and now Pokimane has weighed in. Streamers like xQc, Trainwrecks and Adin Ross have seen a lot of success with their gambling streams, both in terms of viewership and the money they make off of it. Adin revealed that he and his housemates — FaZe Banks, Mike Majlak, RiceGum and Sommer Ray — are being paid approximately $2m a month for their sponsored gambling streams. It’s something many streamers and top influencers have called out, but it doesn’t look to be ending any time soon. While Trainwrecks defended his streams by saying that his losses are “a great example of why you shouldn’t gamble,” Poki doesn’t think his defense holds much weight. “That’s his perspective, but he’s convincing himself that that’s true when in reality he has no data or evidence to back that up,” she explained. “However, we do have evidence to the contrary, which is the fact that these companies are giving him money every single month, which means that his viewers are indeed losing money on these sites every single month.” Pokimane concluded: “As much as you want to say that the tactics and precautions you do prevent people from gambling, ultimately you are losing people money, and the proof is in the check you get every month.” Poki goes on to add that “you can’t get demographic numbers from Twitch” and that it’s “very, very hard,” questioning how Train got an Excel spreadsheet with that information on it. Needless to say, as controversial a topic as these gambling streams are, Pokimane has clearly sided herself with those opposed to it. It’ll be interesting to see whether Twitch ever deem it an issue and take action.

  • Pokimane cries after receiving online hate during emotional Twitch stream – Dexerto

Pokimane cries after receiving online hate during emotional Twitch stream Pokimane, YouTubeAlthough popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the platform’s most popular female content creators, internet fame isn’t all sunshine and roses, as evidenced by her reaction to online hate during an emotional stream on July 6. Esports outlet Thescore Esports uploaded a documentary about Pokimane on the same day, which detailed Anys’s journey to internet stardom – but not everyone was pleased with the video. As of writing, the video has 5,000 dislikes to 3,000 likes: a ratio that Pokimane admitted “hurt her feelings” in comparison to the channel’s videos on other Twitch personalities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBih8DbAYgQ“It does hurt my feelings, kind of, that they’ve done this on so many different streamers, and then like, as soon as it’s me, it’s like, so many dislikes,” she said of the video. “I don’t really know why.” Pokimane closed out her stream shortly thereafter, claiming that she didn’t want to cry on camera and instead wanted to let out her emotions at the gym, holding back tears as she did so. Pokimane’s emotional broadcast follows a story told by fellow streamer Macaiyla, who claimed that she’d possibly hurt Ays’s feelings after saying that another streamer was prettier than her. “She probably doesn’t like me now because I… there was a livestream fails clip that someone clipped of me for drama, and I said – I was talking to Mizkif and I said, I thought that Maya was prettier than her,” Macaiyla explained, going on to note that she’d made the comment to help the two get together. Anys later posted a sad gif shortly after ending her July 6 stream, picturing “My Neighbor Totoro’s” Mei falling face first into the mud: a post that caught the attention of popular streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel. 600https://imgur.com/o5S2akv xQc challenged his viewers to upend the like to dislike ratio on the offending video in response to Pokimane’s emotional reaction to the hate, asking them to “make a positive impact on the world” with their likes. While Pokimane’s gif has since been deleted, the streamer has fans across the globe rooting for her success in spite of the vitriol she receives online – although Thescore Esports’ video on the topic continues to suffer from a major misuse of the dislike button.

  • Pokimane cringes watching Myth fail eye tracker test on her videos – Dexerto

Pokimane cringes watching Myth fail eye tracker test on her videos Pokimane – Twitch / Myth – TwitchTeam SoloMid Fortnite streamer Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani has always had a playful crush on Twitch superstar Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys, and he decided to put himself through a rigorous eye tracker test involving her best clips and Instagram pictures. Myth and Pokimane are two of Twitch’s biggest streamers, and it’s no secret that has always liked the OfflineTV personality. The two have collaborated on some videos together, and have kept up a friendly online relationship for all their fans to adore. So when Myth decided to hook himself up to an eye tracker and set his sights on his friend’s Instagram page, everyone was looking forward to the result, and her reaction. On a September 12 stream, Myth decided to test himself, putting an eye tracker on while going through Pokimane’s Instagram feed. Read more: Pokimane gives love life update – The streamer failed miserably, according to his chat, being particularly fascinated with certain parts of Pokimane that shall remain unnamed. While Pokimane could see the funny side of the clip, she also had something to say about the rise in popularity of streamers checking out their female counterparts. “It’s not like I don’t expect people to look at different aspects of a picture, I just don’t want to know about it,” she said. She visibly cringed throughout the entire clip, even gasping and laughing at points. It looked like she was a bit weirded out and nervous about the whole thing, but overall she brushed it off. However, what she ended up not reacting to was arguably the worse of the two tests, as Myth also used the eye tracker on her most popular Twitch clips. During that phase, the Fortnite pro’s eyes darted all over as he painfully tried to stop looking at all the wrong places, shouting “this is sabotage!” Eye tracking has become quite the popular subject for Twitch streamers. Recently, ‘Mizkif’ was caught looking at videos of ‘Pink Sparkles’ while streaming with eye tracking software on, while Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg did a video in 2018 with some of Alinity Divine’s photos. It is a little bit childish, but it can make for some amusing content for viewers while embarrassing the streamer in a comedic way.

  • Pokimane cracks up at Ninja mysteriously quitting social media – Dexerto

Pokimane cracks up at Ninja mysteriously quitting social media YouTube: Pokimane / Twitter, Instagram: NinjaPokimane couldn’t help but laugh after checking out Ninja’s Twitter profile after the streaming star mysteriously left social media, leaving fans curious and confused. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of the biggest streamers on the internet — but he’s suddenly disappeared from social media, sparking concern and confusion from his viewers. On September 1, fans noticed that the streamer’s Twitter profile had gotten somewhat of a makeover, with his banner displaying a message that reads “Time Out” (the antithesis of his signature catchphrase and the name of his Adidas collab, “Time In”). His username is now listed as ‘User Not Found,’ and his profile picture is the default Twitter egg. That’s not all; Ninja’s partnership with Twitch has seemingly ended, as the ‘subscribe’ button is now gone from his channel. He also published a Tweet that some believe hints at a possible YouTube partnership, saying “I just need a break…I don’t know when I will be back, or where.” Pokimane, Valkyrae & Hasan react to Ninja’s new Twitter profile Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, another massively popular streamer (and the most-followed woman on Twitch) shared her reaction to Ninja’s mysterious move during a live stream with Hasan, Valkyrae, and others — and she couldn’t help but crack up after seeing the streamer’s Twitter banner. “Why did he change his username to ‘User Not Found?’” Poki asked after looking up his profile. “I mean, I respect that, but what the heck is ‘User Not Found’ thing? I feel like that’s a little intense.” “His banner is ‘Time Out,’” Valkyrae pointed out. “He’s taking a break. No profile pic, ‘Time Out’ banner. He went all out for this.” “Wait, but tell me how you made a whole banner, but then you just have the egg profile and ‘User Not Found’?” she laughed. “Someone said it’s a marketing scheme. I guess we’ll see. …I feel like he could have done all this, just not change the icon or name.” Hasan posed that Ninja is merely “marketing for his next move” — although what that move is, we still have yet to find out. For now, it looks like Pokimane feels that Ninja’s social media hiatus is a bit extra… but fans just have to wait and see if the payoff is worth it when, or where, he chooses to return.

  • Pokimane cracks up over awkward moment with Uber driver who loved her hair – Dexerto

Pokimane cracks up over awkward moment with Uber driver who loved her hair YouTube: Anthony PadillaTwitch star ‘Pokimane’ told her fans about an awkward encounter she had with an Uber driver who absolutely loved her curly hair — and she couldn’t help but laugh. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch and one of the most popular broadcasters in the United States. Boasting over 9 million followers on the site, Pokimane often regales her viewers with humorous stories about her day-to-day life, including the odd interaction with fans. However, her latest story was nothing short of hilarious, and she couldn’t help but laugh as she related her most recent conversation with an Uber driver who just couldn’t get over her natural hair. In November 2021, Pokimane revealed her natural hair to the world. While she often straightens her hair, its natural state is curly, and fans love it — and, apparently, so did her Uber driver. After asking if Anys’ hair was naturally curly, the driver was apparently spellbound. “He was like, ‘Wow. Having natural texture like that and on top such a unique hair color? It looks so nice!’” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh, thank you.’” The conversation didn’t stop there — far from it. The driver went on to say that he was a “sucker for curly hair” before asking her, “Why would you straighten something that’s so naturally beautiful?” “The rest of the ride he played metal music, and he sang to it out loud,” the streamer laughed. “…It was very funny.” Luckily, Pokimane wasn’t creeped out by the encounter and ended up finding the entire conversation hilarious. This was a far more pleasant experience than one of her previous Uber rides; back in March 2021, Anys claimed that her Uber driver wouldn’t stop asking for her phone number during her ride, calling the ordeal “frightening.”

  • Pokimane commends JiDion for ‘most racist town’ YouTube video: “He’d do anything for content” – Dexerto

Pokimane commends JiDion for ‘most racist town’ YouTube video: “He’d do anything for content” YouTube: JiDion, Twitch: PokimaneJiDion’s most recent YouTube video, ‘I went to the most racist town,’ has taken the internet by storm, with Pokimane showering the creator with praise on stream. The burgeoning friendship between JiDion ‘JiDion’ Adams and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys’ has been one of the greater redemption arcs of 2022. With JiDion going from getting banned on Twitch for ‘hate-raiding’ Poki, to reaching out with an apology, making amends, and actively working to improve his actions in the future. JiDion took the lessons learned from his edge-lord explosion into popularity and applied them into focused content creation, resulting in his newest upload, the hyper-viral ‘I went to the most racist town in America.’ Pokimane reacted to the video in full, offering support for the fellow creator. Watching him walk through a Walmart in Harrison, Arkansas while yelling out to meet Tom Robb, the Grand Wizard of the KKK, Imane was a mixture of stunned and impressed. “He would do anything for content, and I respect that,” she said. Contrasting JiDion’s experience with the town’s reputation for racism, Poki felt that it was in part due to the general feelings of acceptance put forth by the age of social media. Read More: Jidion slams Hasan for “patronizing” reaction to viral YouTube video: “I know what racism is” – “What I will say is it’s nice to see at least the younger generation doesn’t seem to feel that way whatsoever, and I do credit a lot of that to the internet.” The video continues with Jidion heading to the local school and the students going absolutely wild, yelling and chanting his name. Pokimane related the experience to her own ventures into small towns as a known entity. Closing out her feelings on the matter saying: “Bro, I will say this is how it is when you go to a small town where nothing that cool ever happens. Like my home town. You’re gonna feel so much love.”

  • Pokimane claps back at Twitch viewers criticizing her naturally curly hair – Dexerto

Pokimane claps back at Twitch viewers criticizing her naturally curly hair Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys clapped back at a Twitch viewer who told her she “doesn’t look good” with curly hair, telling them to “take it up with God” because it’s her natural look. Poki’s curly hair has been a huge talking point ever since she ‘debuted’ it on stream in November 2021. Most fans loved it, but some accused her of ‘blackfacing’ — which made no sense to defenders like Hasan since it’s her natural style. On March 25, 2022, one viewer decided to take things a step further by telling her that she “doesn’t look good” with curly hair. Poki responded in the perfect way, telling them to “take it up with God” instead of her. “You know, if you feel that way, you should take it up with God, bro,” said Poki. “You should tell him, ‘You shouldn’t have made her this way,’ and maybe he’ll have some arguments for you. “But for me, b*tch, I just look like this. I take a shower, and this is how I look, so yeah. Don’t tell me. Take it up with him. Do a little prayer. Talk to God, not me! “And you know what? If you ever see someone and they don’t like a feature that they have, take it up with God, don’t tell them! What the f**k are they gonna do. Get plastic surgery for your ass? No!” It’s not the first time a viewer has criticized her appearance in some way. In October 2020, one viewer told her she looked “kind of chubby.” Poki responded by saying: “Does that say more about me or about you?” Poki’s also had to deal with people asking for inappropriate pictures, clipping “creepy” clips during her stream, and more. She’s developed a thick skin and manages to brush it off in a nonchalant way — but the constant attacks nevertheless sting.

  • Pokimane claps back with perfect response after xQc “feels bad” for her next boyfriend – Dexerto

Pokimane claps back with perfect response after xQc “feels bad” for her next boyfriend Twitch: Pokimane / xQcTwitch powerhouse Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys responded brilliantly when fellow streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel told her he “feels bad” for her next boyfriend. Pokimane and xQc are two of Twitch’s biggest names, regularly entertaining audiences with their wide-ranging content. Both featured on the recently leaked list of Twitch’s highest earners, taking home eye-watering mounts thanks to their millions of followers. The pair are also known to be friends, poking fun at one another on a variety of topics and linking up for games on occasion as well. On 8 October, the pair exchanged barbs over their future partners, with Poki responding incredibly when xQc expressed concerns for her future partner. Poki was taking issue with xQc’s avoidance of her request for him to be her duo, claiming Lengyel “ditched” her, rather than the other way round. As the two were bickering, xQc said: “Can I be honest with you? Don’t take this the wrong way. I feel bad for whoever is gonna be your boyfriend one day. What the f**k, how can you talk like this? Who says ‘I can if my schedule aligns’. What the f**k is that?” Poki, though, was none too pleased with the ex-Overwatch pro’s comments, brilliantly hitting back: “Well don’t take this the wrong way, but I feel bad for whoever’s gonna be your girlfriend one day, or is currently… Because I literally asked you if you wanted to be my duo, you never answered and now you’re holding it against me that you never answered even though I asked you!” Credit to xQc who, after hearing Poki’s reply, backed down and said “fair enough”. The interaction shouldn’t be taken too seriously, with the pair known to exchange friendly barbs from time to time. Unsurprisingly, the subject of Pokimane’s boyfriend has been a massive topic, with the streamer recently discussing her ‘single btw’ tweet that nearly broke the internet.

  • Pokimane hits back at SSSniperwolf comparison and slams her over doxxing controversy – Dexerto

Pokimane hits back at SSSniperwolf comparison and slams her over doxxing controversy X: Pokimane / YouTube: SSSniperwolfPokimane has fired back at an “unnecessary” SSSniperwolf comparison on Twitter that implied that she’s able to “get away with anything” on Twitch. Comparisons between popular figures are often inevitable. However, when a tweet surfaced comparing Twitch’s most-followed female streamer, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, to controversial YouTuber SSSniperwolf, it sparked a significant response from Pokimane herself. The tweet in question drew comparisons between SSSniperwolf and Pokimane, displaying photos of both with the caption, “My platform lets me get away with anything starter pack.” And Pokimane, known to address controversies head-on, didn’t hold back in her response. Pokimane responded to the comparison, stating, “I’m vehemently against doxxing, esp as someone who has been doxxed, swatted, and stalked for years.” She further added, “This comparison is unnecessary, and I don’t want to be a part of your ‘women can get away with anything’ agenda. I sincerely hope that YouTube helps Jack.” In a follow-up comment, Pokimane emphasized her commitment to accountability and further shut down the idea of being compared to SSSniperwolf, stating, “I always try to apologize and do better when I make a mistake. It’s okay if you haven’t forgiven that yet, but please don’t compare me to someone who committed a crime and put people’s safety at risk.” SSSniperwolf has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons of late after doxxing fellow content creator Jacksfilms. The incident, in which SSSniperwolf uploaded an Instagram story of a picture in front of Jacksfilms’ house, has drawn widespread criticism from not only fans but streamers and influencers alike. Asmongold, another prominent YouTuber, was quick to call out the behavior, saying it’s “unacceptable” and draws a “line in the sand that should never be crossed.” Jacksfilms himself labeled SSSniperwolf’s actions as “creepy, gross, violating” and urged YouTube to take action. Pokimane, on the other hand, recently also confronted Trainwreck one year after he called her one of the “most corrupt” figures on Twitch. The confrontation stemmed from a debate about the ethics of gambling on stream, a topic that Pokimane has been vocally against. On a similar note, in June, Pokimane shut down the idea of her joining other high-profile streamers in switching over to Kick, stating that she wouldn’t compromise her “morals and ethics” for monetary gain. That comment led to harsh responses from xQc, Amouranth, and Corinna Kopf, who claimed Pokimane was merely trying to “farm clout and relevancy.” For all the latest entertainment news and updates, be sure to check out Dexerto’s full coverage here.

  • Pokimane claps back at “weird” viewers asking if she’s pregnant – Dexerto

Pokimane claps back at “weird” viewers asking if she’s pregnant Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane is hitting back at viewers who constantly ask if she’s pregnant whenever she, or another woman, announces they have “exciting news” to share. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed female streamer on Twitch, on top of being the site’s 9th most-followed broadcaster, overall. As a result, her 9.2 million followers are certainly interested in her day-to-day life… but the streamer isn’t always happy to be asked a particular, deeply personal question. Anys spoke out about this query during a recent live stream, where she hit out at a few viewers who always ask about whether or not she’s pregnant when she has “exciting news” to share. Pokimane hits out at viewers who always ask if she’s pregnant “You know, being a woman in her 20’s is weird, because any time you have exciting news, someone has to think it’s ’cause you’re pregnant,” she began. “You know, you’re gonna be so hyped about something, like a job promotion or whatever, and all of the sudden you gotta be thinking about babies.” “And then you gotta be like, ‘Wait, should I be pregnant right now? I didn’t wanna think about babies right now!’ Stop! Thirties will be even worse? Stop! When does it stop? When you’re 50? What if I wanna be pregnant at 50, not 25? You know?” “Every single time I mention any sort of announcement, news, anything exciting, there’s at least minimum three people that are like, ‘Pregnant? Are you pregnant?’ Like bro, not even my mom talks to me as much about this sh*t as some of y’all. It’s weird.” At the time of writing, the median age of new mothers in the United States has risen to 30 years old, reportedly the highest on record in the country, according to the most recent statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau. Pokimane is just one of many women focusing on her career in her mid-twenties. The streamer has kept most information about her personal life — including her love life — private, but it looks like starting a family is off the table for now.

  • Pokimane claims she wouldn’t do Twitch gambling streams for ‘any amount’ – Dexerto

Pokimane claims she wouldn’t do Twitch gambling streams for ‘any amount’ Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has claimed that no amount of money, no matter how mind-blowing, would tempt her to do gambling streams. The dispute over whether it is right for influencers to accept large sponsorship deals from online gambling sites continues to dominate the streaming community. After Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel announced that he would be including gambling ads once again during his livestreams, creators have been split over their return to Twitch. Some have defended xQc’s decision, while others have claimed that it encourages potential gambling addictions among viewers. Twitch streamer Pokimane has now doubled down her view that she would never accept a gambling sponsorship deal as she wouldn’t feel right about how it would affect her fans. Pokimane ‘doesn’t have a price’ for gambling streams On May 19, Pokimane was reacting to Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren’s revelation that he had ‘no price’ when it comes to gambling streams due to his history with a devastating gambling addiction. Agreeing with Ludwig, Pokimane claimed that she wouldn’t accept any sponsorship deal even if she was offered a whopping sum. So much so, that even if she was offered “$100 million a month” she’d still reject the deal. “Most people have a number,” Pokimane said. “I’m really glad to say that Lud is ready to say he doesn’t have a price and same here. I don’t have a price.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7taIei-in0g The reason why Pokimane would say no to any such deal she claimed is that she would feel she was taking advantage of her viewers who could be putting themselves into crippling debt to cover gambling expenses. She explained: “If I’m making $5 million a month because I know my viewers are losing $10 million, the guilt would eat me alive.” Pokimane’s comments come after she previously blasted streamers who defend the gambling meta calling it “really f**king bad.” Although, she claimed it is ultimately Twitch that should be doing more to solve the problem by banning crypto gambling on the platform altogether. The community is still split over the new Twitch meta. However, it’s perfectly clear where Pokimane is standing on the matter.

Pokimane claps back at Hasan roasting her “sweaty” Mario Party maneuver Nintendo/Pokimane/HasanTwitch stars Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys were playing the new Mario Party Superstars for Nintendo Switch when things got heated between the two influencers. Playing Mario Party with friends can become quite a competitive venture, as the race to rack up the most amount of stars is both an exciting and frustrating affair. The new Mario Party, Mario Party Superstars, has Nintendo fans playing retro stages and old-school mini-games as the title pays homage to the franchise’s best features from previous installments. Streamers Hasan and Pokimane were playing Superstars in-person together when the two could help but throw around some smack-talk during the match. Hasan and Pokimane battle over Mario Party Pokimane and Hasan were joined by friends and fellow streamers AustinShow and Tubbo, and booted up a 4-player round of Mario Party Superstars. During Poki’s turn, she pulled up the map to get a better idea of where to head next. Hasan roasted her over the move and said, “Oh My God! Busting out the map. Dude, you are so sweaty dude! I’m so sorry for defeating you in the marketplace of Boomerang Fu.” The group of streamers had competed in the party game Boomerang Fu previous to loading up their Mario Party match. Poki responded to Hasan’s diss and said, “Thoroughly defeating?! That’s funny. That’s what you consider playing noobs?! Noob-stomping is thoroughly defeating?! How much of an ego boost do you need? How bad do you need it, tell me!” The pair cracked up in laughter as the epic retort elicited a ton of laughs. The chat also blew up in laughs as Poki’s roast of Hasan was hilarious. Hasan replied, “She’s gonna wax our a**es in all these f**kin’ mini-games now.”

  • Pokimane claims Shane Dawson’s return to YouTube is “disingenuous” – Dexerto

Pokimane claims Shane Dawson’s return to YouTube is “disingenuous” Twitch: Pokimane / YouTube: Shane DawsonTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys broke down why she thinks Shane Dawson’s return to YouTube is problematic. The OfflineTV streamer was critical of his apology and take on being “canceled.” In 2020, Shane Dawson came under fire after controversial comments from his past resurfaced online. The entertainer took a lengthy hiatus before making his return on October 7, 2021. One person not a fan of how the creator made his return is Twitch streamer Pokimane. The Moroccan-Canadian criticized the 33-year-old during her live broadcast. According to Anys, the YouTuber didn’t seem genuine in his apology. Pokimane calls Shane Dawson’s apology “disingenuous” During her Twitch stream, Pokimane reacted to Shane Dawson’s first upload since 2020. While watching his return video, the 25-year-old explained to viewers why she wasn’t buying into Dawson’s apology for his past mistakes. “The way he is jumping between topics, I hate to say it, it just sends disingenuous vibes,” she said. “Like, if you really care about something, like, ‘hey I want to come back. I want to seriously apologize and I want people to know how aware I am of the sh**ty things that I did’… When someone’s serious they look like they feel bad, they say at lengths what they did wrong. That’s how you really do it.” The star told viewers that most wouldn’t accept an apology if someone acted that way. “Whereas if someone is like, “Sorry you feel that way. If you hate me you’re gonna hate me, and omg my cat’s so cute!” If someone apologized like that, you would be like, ‘What?!’… It just wouldn’t feel right,” she said. Pokimane then called out the YouTuber on how he was glossing over his past controversies. “The way he summarized it, I felt kind of sucked, where he was like “All these clips came out, and that was bad. And if I talk about how I really feel about it, then people will say I just want sympathy.” … But then it’s like, maybe you haven’t thought about what you did long enough.” The streamer also wasn’t buying Shane Dawson’s explanation for taking a hiatus from YouTube. “All the things he listed, none of them were like, “I felt bad about what I’ve done. And like I wanted to give people time and space.” People need time to get over, and you need to showcase you’ve changed,” she said. Poki followed that up and explained, “If you’re going to go off the internet for like two years, specifically because of you being canceled. When you come back and it’s your first video back, I think you need to acknowledge what you did. And in acknowledging what you’ve done wrong, you need to say that you’re sorry, to showcase that you’re genuinely sorry.” Pokimane summed up her whole take on his return by saying that the controversial YouTuber seemed “unsure” of whether he should care about people being angry at him or not. The streamer reiterated that Dawson’s lack of a straightforward apology made him come off not genuine. “You need to go about things the way you genuinely feel. If you feel you are sorry, say you’re sorry. But you also have to accept that if you choose not to apologize and some people think that makes you disingenuous then so be it. But the vibes that I get is that he’s unsure.”

Pokimane claims she booked ticket back to Canada over “infuriating” Supreme Court ruling Twitch: pokimaneTwitch star Pokimane says that she’s making plans to head back to Canada in wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v Wade. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch and one of the most-followed streamers on the website, overall. Although Anys currently lives in Southern California with her two cats, she’s actually from Canada, where she and her mother immigrated from Morocco when she was around four years old. That being said, she’s considering flying back to ‘The Great White North’ in wake of the recent US Supreme Court ruling. On June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, a 1973 case that ruled the Constitution protected a woman’s right to abortion. Many influencers have been speaking out in wake of this ruling, including Pokimane, who shared her thoughts on the matter in a Twitch stream on the same day. “The Roe v Wade news is absolutely terrible,” she said. “I tweeted about it. I retweeted a couple things. I faved a couple things. It’s just tough, because what more can we even say at this point?” “We’ve said it all. It’s depressing. I booked a ticket back to Canada. Like, ya know?” “It’s bothersome,” she continued. “I can’t even vote. And I’m giving these motherf**kers millions. Millions! …High key, I consider just dipping. Bye!” She went on to “suggest we all collectively move elsewhere together” before moving on to other matters. Although it’s unclear if Pokimane has actually made plans to move back North or not, it’s clear she’s upset with the current proceedings in the States, where she is the most searched Twitch streamer in the entire country.

  • Pokimane claims FaZe Clan’s cryptocurrency drama is proof it could be “illegal” – Dexerto

Pokimane claims FaZe Clan’s cryptocurrency drama is proof it could be “illegal” Twitch: Pokimane / FaZe ClanDuring her podcast with streamer Mizkif, Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys reacted to FaZe Clan dropping Kay and suspending Jarvis over cryptocurrency. Pokimane and Mizkif were stunned after FaZe Clan announced only July 2 their decision to remove Kay from the company and suspend Jarvis, Nikan, and Teeqo over their promotion of cryptocurrency. The Morroco-Canadian slammed the content creators, calling them greedy for pushing sketchy crypto on their fans. The Twitch star also explained why the org’s decision was possibly an ‘admission’ that their actions were “illegal.” Pokimane says she is confused by the greed of streamers After applauding FaZe Clan for their decision, Pokimane argued that the popular esports org was essentially admitting that the actions of some of its members were possibly illegal. “If that is not verbatim saying that’s illegal, I don’t know whatever could be,” she exclaimed after reading their July 2 statement. The Twitch star then explained to Mizkif why she is confused by the influx of influencers promoting these schemes to their viewers. “This is what confuses me. Motherf**kers will be this rich and they will STILL do illegal stuff for money,” she continued. Mizkif argued that it’s difficult for some streamers to say no to promoting the digital currency due to fear of their money one day going away. Poki responded by saying, “Is it though?” before adding, “If you LITERALLY have millions in your bank account, how is that going to just ‘go away?’” Anys also stated that rich streamers shouldn’t be this desperate. “I think they just want more money and don’t care. Let’s say you got three million in the bank account. Your lifestyle between three million and five isn’t going to change. If it’s not going to impact yourself whatsoever then why are you doing these things?” she said. She again shot down the idea that streamers were only doing this out of fear of their fame and money may one day go away: “Oh no, I made four million instead of seven. Wah wah, goo go ga ga. What about the money that viewers are losing who needed it a f**k ton more than you do!” This isn’t the first time Pokimane has been critical of wealthy streamers making money by promoting things to their viewers. On June 28, the star called out Trainwrecks for doing gambling streams. At the time of writing, it’s not clear whether FaZe Clan will drop Jarvis, Nikan, and Teeqo as they are currently under investigation. The org stated, “We strongly condemn their recent behavior.”

Pokimane has always shared her thoughts on other creators and trends within the content creation world, without hesitation. Joining friend and collaborator Disguised Toast on the OfflineTV Podcast, Pokimane decided to double down on her approach to streaming and interacting with her peers. Despite her first experiences with streaming making it difficult to “formulate an opinion,” the Twitch streamer has definitely found her call to be bold. Pokimane and Disguised Toast are the “most controversial” Sitting down on the OfflineTV Podcast with content creator Disguised Toast, the pair quickly got into the finer details of what it takes to be a streamer. Getting into their reputation among the OfflineTV team, Pokimane didn’t hesitate to say that Disguised Toast and herself are the “most controversial” creators among the group. “Within OTV, I feel like me and you are secretly the most controversial. Maybe less so secret for me,” Pokimane explained. “For me, I love to talk, I genuinely love to share my opinion.” (Timestamp: 1:11) Pokimane added that she “maybe shied away from” expressing her opinion earlier in her streaming career, and explained that she believes Toast to have been the same. Solidifying her claims, Pokimane hasn’t held back when it comes to peers such as Valkyrae, who recently launched a gaming-inspired skincare brand known as RFLCT. Created to aid gamers against blue light emittance from monitors and other devices, Pokimane was straight to the point with her thoughts on the product: “Use sunscreen.” As the pair used to live together, Pokimane naturally feels like she is in an awkward spot when it comes to critiquing Valkyrae’s business. However, looking at Valkyrae’s response to the backlash, she added “I’m glad she acknowledged those concerns were valid.” Outside of dissecting her former housemate’s divisive skincare product, Pokimane has taken breaks from streaming before and now the streamer is “figuring things out and experimenting” whilst “prioritizing her life.”

  • Pokimane catches xQc watching her on stream and roasts his dirty room – Dexerto

Pokimane catches xQc watching her on stream and roasts his dirty room Twitch: xQc, PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane caught fellow broadcaster xQc watching her on his stream and took the opportunity to roast his dirty room in front of thousands of viewers. On November 30, Twitch streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel shocked his fans by cleaning his room during a live broadcast, showing off piles of used takeout containers with food still inside that had accrued over time. Donning surgical gloves to remove the built-up waste, Lengyel’s streaming room is finally clean thanks to his efforts… but that didn’t stop his viewers from roasting him, with one fan claiming that “bro had the food there for so long the mold started to build civilization.” That’s not all — xQc also got some heat for streaming himself doing his laundry, asking fans how much detergent he should use and appearing confused by his washing machine, prompting a Reddit user to say it was his “first time” doing his laundry ever. It seems that his viewers weren’t the only ones roasting him; in fact, fellow Twitch streamer Pokimane also had a few things to say about the state of his room shortly afterwards. Pokimane roasts xQc’s dirty room after cleaning stream goes viral xQc was made aware of her comments thanks to his fans, who asked him to tune into her stream, where she was playing Among Us with friends. Pokimane was quickly alerted to xQc’s presence in her chat and immediately took the chance to lambast him about his room. “xQc, I have a really important question for you,” she began. “Did you ever take your laundry out of the wash and put it in the dryer? Because that’s a very important part of the laundry process.” “Otherwise your clothes are gonna get gross and moldy, and they’re gonna smell really, really bad. So, more important than actually putting it in the wash is putting it in the dryer. Okay? I just need you to know that.” xQc, for his part, seemed exasperated by Poki’s advice, sighing and saying “I just did that” while she went on her tirade against his cleanliness. To be fair, xQc isn’t the only streamer who’s been publicly shamed for the state of his streaming room — fellow influencer Asmongold similarly stunned his fans after cleaning up his office “for the first time in years” over the summer.

Pokimane challenged to boxing match by YouTuber Brandon Buckingham YouTube: Brandon Buckingham, Past Your BedtimeTwitch star Pokimane was officially challenged to an influencer boxing match by YouTuber Brandon Buckingham during the press conference for his upcoming bout against Ice Poseidon. Misfits Boxing is gearing up for another jam-packed influencer boxing event this weekend, with several high-profile content creators slated to touch gloves on Saturday, November 19. On the undercard of Hasim Rahman Jr. vs Greg Hardy is a bout between streamer Ice Poseidon and YouTuber Brandon Buckingham, marking both influencers’ first time in the ring. Brandon Buckingham calls out Pokimane for boxing match The fighters met up for a press conference on Thursday, November 17, where Poseidon showed up in full Sandman attire (complete with a Grim Reaper hood), while Buckingham opted for a more military-style approach. After the two creators exchanged some banter and trash-talk, Buckingham did something completely unexpected: He challenged popular Twitch streamer Pokimane to a boxing match. “I would like to take this time to challenge a Twitch streamer, Pokimane, to a fight,” Buckhingham said. “She puts me in a self-defense situation. I feel like allegedly, I would beat the dog crap out of her.” (Topic begins at 18:40) Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed female broadcaster on Twitch and one of the most-Googled streamers in the United States. While she has never entertained the idea of a fight with another influencer, it seems she’s been put on the spot anyway. However, it’s unlikely that Pokimane will make her boxing debut anytime soon. During a recent episode of the BANTER podcast, Anys claimed that she wouldn’t fight someone “without a good reason,” saying she’d have to have a little more beef to actually get the ball rolling for a fight. (Topic begins at 26:00) Considering that Buckingham called her out quite randomly, it’s unlikely that she’ll give the challenge a chance — but we’ll keep you updated right here on Dexerto in the event that she responds.

Pokimane catches merch thief red-handed Pokimane, Twitter / FreepikImane “Pokimane” Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular female streamers, boasting an audience of over 3 million followers and a successful merchandise collection – a clothing line that’s so popular, it already has copycats. The streamer’s current merchandise collection includes a series of jackets, joggers, and shirts, which she launched on September 1 in wake of her collaboration with MetaThreads. While Anys’s latest clothing venture has already seen one item sell out – a crop top with an anime-style design – that very item is being copied in another store. https://pokishop.comAnys posted a Tweet regarding the theft on September 2, noting that a seller had used a screenshot of her design for use on a men’s T-shirt, as evidenced by the curve of the fabric. “Can’t believe someone screenshotted my merch design off the pic I posted and is trying to re-sell it,” Pokimane wrote. “Look at the curve on the text LMAAAOOO!” can’t believe someone screenshotted my merch design off the pic i posted and is trying to re-sell it.. look at the curve on the text LMAAAOOO pic.twitter.com/h3QwIRedyW — pokimane (@pokimanelol) September 2, 2019 That’s not all: the streamer also speculated that the seller used her design for their before her collection was even released, as seen in their use of the image taken from her selfie. “I think they did this before the collection was released,” she continued. “I wonder if they have updated versions lmao.” i think they did this before the collection was released, i wonder if they have updated versions lmao.. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) September 2, 2019 Although Anys is one of many content creators who boast merchandise, her mission statement for the clothing line focused on fashion, hoping to create merch that was both unique to her brand and genuinely stylish. “I wanted to create merch that people would enjoy wearing and not only purchase because they want to support someone, but something they want to wear out, something I think genuinely looks good,” she said of the project. Timestamp: [7:41 for mobile viewers] While Pokimane caught this merch thief red-handed, this wouldn’t be the first time her clothing line has been the subject of controversy: last year, some critics accused the streamer of copying designs from famous brands – designs that she credited the brands with as inspiration for her own merchandise. “It’s totally fine to get inspiration from other things,” Pokimane responded. “…one, credit: Off-White as definitely being one of the top streetwear brands, big inspiration of mine. Pokimane calls out Trainwrecks for “platforming” Kaite after Fed drama Pokimane, TwitchTwitch star Pokimane is hitting out at fellow streamer Trainwrecks for featuring Kaite as a contestant on his broadcasts, after she called Fedmyster “ugly” during an April episode of the ‘Rajjchelor’ dating show. The drama surrounding Trainwrecks’ popular live show continues, after an April 29 episode of the ‘Rajjchelor’ flew off the rails due to Kaite’s divisive comments. Popularly hailed as the “villain” on the Bachelor-style broadcast, Kaite called contestant Fedmyster “ugly” after denying his request for a virtual date that would be hosted on Trainwrecks’ channel after “winning” the segment, choosing to have her own channel hosted, instead. Related — Why Everyone Wants Alinity Banned on Twitch “Honestly, I checked him out beforehand, and just… I think you’re ugly, I’m not attracted to you,” she admitted. While Kaite was quickly called out by Pokimane, a close friend of Fedmyster, that wasn’t the end of Poki’s thoughts on the subject, who spoke further on the drama two days later. During a May 1 stream, she appeared to call out Trainwrecks for even giving Kaite a platform on his show, calling Kaite’s behavior “rude.” “Are my standards too high if I feel like it’s weird that Train is even platforming her after she was like, so oddly rude and b**chy to so many people?” she asked her viewers. “I get it — drama equals views, but sometimes, you can try to make it a bit less apparent.” Rajj apologized to Fedmyster in a separate stream, explaining that he wasn’t happy with Kaite’s insult during one of the most viewed streams in the history of the Rajjchelor. “I just want to say, I feel so guilty even though I didn’t — nobody told her to say that, she just shocked everybody,” he clarified. “It was too far… it crossed the line.” Pokimane’s latest comments were made in reference to an older clip from an episode of the Trainwrecks podcast, where Kaite left the stream after a past instance was brought up where she’d been eliminated from the Rajjchelor over allegedly racist remarks. “Honestly, though, I’m not surprised,” she said of the matter. “People who talk big s**t are always like that.” This isn’t Pokimane’s first time slamming the streamer, by far; she was quick to call out Kaite directly after her “ugly” remark was made, which prompted Kaite to clap back by calling Pokimane “a b**ch.” It’s safe to say that there’s no love lost between these two streamers, with Trainwrecks also coming under scrutiny from Pokimane’s fanbase over continuing to feature Kaite in his broadcasts in wake of the drama.

  • Pokimane calls out YouTube as her Oscars Will Smith slap video gets flagged – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out YouTube as her Oscars Will Smith slap video gets flagged YouTube: Pokimane, The GuardianTwitch star Pokimane is pleading with YouTube for help after the platform flagged her video reacting to Will Smith’s viral Oscar slap as “inappropriate” for advertisers. The internet still can’t stop talking about the moment Will Smith walked on stage at the 94th Academy Awards to slap Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. The moment took social media by storm, spawning a slew of reactions from high profile celebrities and fellow comedians like Joe Rogan and even Jim Carrey. While tons of influencers have posted their takes on the situation online — including full footage of the slap, itself — Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is experiencing some difficulties sharing her thoughts about the matter. Anys pleads with YouTube for help over flagged Will Smith Oscars slap video Anys notably uploaded her reaction to the slap on YouTube without issue on Monday, but says that now, her video has been flagged as not advertiser friendly. The issue is completely befuddling her, as other creators have uploaded the slap to YouTube with ads enabled without any problems. Now, she’s reaching out to the platform and other creators for help. “My video was flagged as non-advertiser friendly, even though there’s lots of videos with millions of views that talk about this topic with ads,” she wrote on Twitter. “Anyone have any idea why?” Anys attached a screenshot of an email she’d received from YouTube, which said her video is “running limited or no ads due to content identified as not suitable for most advertisers.” https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1508871840520880149?s=20&t=-2_-y5B71GIU0DcvCdhTng While most commenters theorize that the slap was considered too “violent” for advertisers, others question if her video wasn’t specifically targeted by internet trolls — something that recently happened to steamer JustaMinx, who was banned from TikTok three times due to mass reporting. Luckily, Pokimane’s video remains viewable. Anys said that Jada’s alopecia was a “s**ty thing to joke about,” but ultimately called the situation “confusing” as Smith appeared to be laughing at Rock’s joke at first. Will Smith has publicly apologized and he is currently being investigated by the Academy due to the slap.

  • Pokimane calls out “toxic” TikTok for making users obsessed with image – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out “toxic” TikTok for making users obsessed with image YouTube: PokimaneTwitch star Pokimane is calling out TikTok’s “toxic” culture and algorithm, saying that the app has made herself and other people “obsessed” with their appearances. TikTok is one of the world’s most prominent social media apps — so much so, that it actually beat out searches for Google back in 2021. However, the platform has also been one of the most controversial of its kind, with multiple states in the US currently considering a ban on the site. Although the app has come under scrutiny due to life-threatening trends like the Blackout Challenge, it has also been called out for adverse effects on users’ mental health. Now, one of the internet’s biggest influencers is sharing some of her thoughts on the site, saying that she feels as though TikTok has made her “obsessed” with her appearance. Pokimane says “toxic” TikTok has made people “obsessed” with appearances In a video uploaded on April 25, prominent Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys addressed some of her issues with the platform, saying that her appearance has become a major focus of her thought process when creating content when it wasn’t before. “Does anyone else feel like being on TikTok has made you way more obsessed with appearances?” she began. “Initially, it was kind of fun. Like, oh, I get to learn about skincare and clothing and see different kinds of aesthetics.” “But after a while, I noticed it got toxic really quick. I started considering how I look before things that are equally as important, like what I wanna say, how I feel, etcetera.” That’s not all; the streamer also says that, as a woman, she feels as though her appearance ties into her overall “worth” as a person, although she doesn’t subscribe to that belief, herself. “[I started to feel like it was a] really, really important way to showcase my value as a human being, especially as a woman. I think that’s something that we’re not often directly told, but subliminally told, that that is such an important factor of our worth.” Anys went on to speak with her fans in the comments, saying that although TikTok has taught her so much, it’s “easy to fall prey to the addictive nature of social media.” Social media can certainly have a dangerous side, as prominent TikTok creator KallmeKris recently revealed that she’s been the victim of stalking after achieving internet fame for the last year.

  • Pokimane calls out KEEMSTAR for ‘biased’ Drama Alert interview with FaZe Clan CEO – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out KEEMSTAR for ‘biased’ Drama Alert interview with FaZe Clan CEO Pokimane/Twitch, Keemstar/YouTubeTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has called out Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem after he uploaded a Drama Alert video talking about Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s FaZe Clan contract. In the video uploaded May 23, KEEMSTAR interviewed FaZe Clan CEO Lee Trink, allowing him to air his side of the ordeal to the public. When talking about Tfue’s contract which leaked previously, Trink claimed that a completely different team put Tfue’s contract together and once Trink took over, he amended the contracts for anyone new signing into the Clan, with Tfue still signed to the old one. Trink also said that Tfue’s intentions when starting the lawsuit were to break out of his FaZe contract so he could start his own organization, stating, “He was actually never interested in creating a new deal. What he was interested in was creating a competing org. That’s impossible. We’re never going to get there.” Pokimane wasn’t too happy about the interview and shared her thoughts to her viewers during a livestream, saying, “You guys have to be very careful about what you trust on the internet, okay? I think it is inappropriate for KEEMSTAR to be making a video like this.” “Knowing his relationship with FaZe and with [Ricky] Banks, there is no way for him not to be biased, okay?” she rants, visibly upset by the video’s contents. “I promise you, you will never see KEEMSTAR say anything bad about FaZe. Never.” While KEEMSTAR isn’t officially affiliated with FaZe Clan, he has a longstanding history of being friends with various members of the org, leading to Pokimane’s comments. We certainly don’t need any more beef added to the Tfue and FaZe Clan debacle but it’s understandable that with a situation this colossal, influencers would have heated opinions, especially when they air such a big portion of their lives online. But this wouldn’t be the first time that Pokimane and KEEMSTAR have fired shots at each other – the pair have been at each other’s throats for a while. Pokimane and KEEMSTAR’s long-running beef KEEMSTAR called the female Twitch star a “fake bitch” in November after they got into a Twitter spat over him allegedly “hating on innocent fans”. The pair sent a series of Twitter videos back and forth, before the Drama Alert host uploaded a clip where he accused her of “being on a pedestal” and dropped the “fake bitch” insult. Pokimane then clapped back, tweeting, “Resorting to cheap shots for easy Twitter likes, a classic grown man’s move. I’ll just end by saying that the fact you deleted your Tweets is enough proof that even you think what you did was messed up.” ah resorting to cheap shots for easy twitter likes, a classic grown man’s move. I’ll just end by saying that the fact you deleted your tweets is enough proof that even you think what you did was messed up (or you can’t even stand by your own opinion lol).:skin-tone-2: — pokimane (@pokimanelol) November 2, 2018 It wasn’t long before they argued again, with KEEMSTAR uploading a video by YouTuber ‘Memology’ to Twitter captioned ‘Pokimane: Gotta Strike Them All.’ The video calls out Pokimane for allegedly abusing YouTube’s copyright system, going into detail about a time the creator received a copyright strike against his channel for using a clip she owned in one of his videos.

  • Pokimane calls out fan for “thicc” comment after IRL meetup – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out fan for “thicc” comment after IRL meetup Pokimane Too, YouTubeTwitch star and internet personality Imane “Pokimane” Anys is no stranger to being labeled as “thicc” online — but one fan took the comment a bit too far after meeting up with her in real life. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s top broadcasters, boasting more than 3.8 million followers due to her popular gaming live streams and hilarious interactions with fans. However, the star is also known for a specific term that is often linked with her in Google searches: namely “thicc,” which denotes a curvy figure. While she has addressed the topic before, appearing to find the connotation somewhat humorous, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes at a fan who recoginzed her while she was shopping at a mall. According to Pokimane, the fan asked for a photo, which he then posted to Instagram with the caption, “Just met Poki, she’s so f*cking thicc.” Of course, the streamer couldn’t help but call out the viewer during her broadcast, claiming that she knew he was a fan of her Fortnite content and that he could have been a bit more tactful with his Instagram caption. “Bro this one time — and I knew this was a Fortnite viewer — this guy saw me at the mall, and he was like, ‘Oh my god, are you Poki? Can we take a photo?’” she recounted. “…to be fair, I was looking pretty thicc in the picture, but like…still, you know, you could be a little nicer about it.” (Topic begins at 0:50 for mobile viewers) As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first time Anys has spoken out about the “thicc” term: in fact, she addressed the matter during a YouTube “Google search” video in 2019, where she noted the absurd amount of fake photos that have taken rise due to her popularity. “There’s a particular other term that is searched alongside my name,” she laughingly admitted. “The problem with this being the most searched term is that I’ve even seen some articles that think my last name is ‘Thicc.’” (Topic begins at 1:50 for mobile readers) No matter the case, it doesn’t look like Pokimane is outrunning the “thicc” comments anytime soon, despite being well-established in her professional streaming career.

  • Pokimane calls out ‘hypocritical’ gamer outrage against the President – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out ‘hypocritical’ gamer outrage against the President Instagram: @pokimanelol / YouTube: Fox NewsTwitch superstar Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys has hit out at the ‘hypocrisy’ surrounding the US President comments about video games being a cause for violence and the outrage that followed statements. After the two tragic mass shootings that occurred in El Paso, Texas on August 3 and in Dayton, Ohio on August 4, politicians and current US President laid some of the blame onto video games for their violent nature, claiming that they had some influence on the shooters’ actions. The gaming community was outraged by the comments and refuted them heavily, with many players stating that video games had never influenced or caused them to be violent. However, Pokimane had something to say about the backlash during her stream on August 5. Pokimane thinks the outrage is hypocritical While reading Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau’s tweet about the President’s comments during the broadcast, the Twitch star addressed the fury from video game players. “Ohhhh, and you know what’s kinda troll too?” she asked. “That like, we’ve let the President say and get away with so much shit.” She added: “And then he attacks… he attacks video games and we’re like “RACISM! I can allow that! But video games? Uh-uh-uh!’” she laughed as she wagged her finger back and forth, struggling to contain her amusement. The Moroccan-Canadian then explained how she wished she could go back to Canada to avoid the political debate over video games altogether. “Anyways, yeah, I’m not going to sit here and talk like I know that much about politics, but I’m just going to say this makes me want to go back to Canada where my video games are appreciated.” The US Presidents statement on video games Pokimane’s reaction came after the US President issued a speech to condemn “gruesome and grisly” video games, following the Texas and Ohio mass shootings. “We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace. It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves in a culture that celebrates violence. We should stop or substantially reduce this and it has to begin immediately,” he stated. The tragic incidents saw at least 29 lives taken and 53 people seriously injured.

  • Pokimane calls out “deceitful” influencers for lying about cosmetic procedures – Dexerto

Pokimane calls out “deceitful” influencers for lying about cosmetic procedures YouTube: ImaneTwitch star Pokimane is putting “deceitful” influencers on blast who aren’t truthful about getting plastic surgery, saying they create “unrealistic standards” for their fans. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is the most-followed woman on Twitch. Boasting over 9 Twitch million followers and an additional 6 million YouTube subscribers, Anys knows what it means to be a major influencer. She’s been brutally honest with her fans in the past, explaining in no uncertain terms that she won’t be discussing her love life with them and allowing herself to take extended breaks from broadcasting. However, she’s a bit miffed at streamers who aren’t as transparent with their viewers, stating in a recent tweet that she is saddened by influencers who aren’t open about getting plastic surgeries or other cosmetic procedures. According to Anys, this creates “unrealistic” expectations from their fans about how their own bodies should look. “It makes me so sad to see influencers be deceitful about the procedures they have gotten, or act like they ‘worked hard in the gym’ for those changes,” she wrote. “You’re creating unrealistic standards for the young girls that follow you.” it makes me so sad to see influencers be deceitful about the procedures they have gotten, or act like they “worked hard in the gym” for those changes. you’re creating unrealistic standards for the young girls that follow you 😔 — imane 💜 (@imane) April 15, 2022 Pokimane has recently shared her gym journey with fans and even posted snippets of her workout routine in a vlog that shows a look into her daily life outside of the purple streaming platform. Anys’s tweet comes after YouTube star Valkyrae opened up about her own thoughts on plastic surgery, saying she would never go under the knife to alter her looks and will accept her natural aging as it comes. On the flip side, model and YouTuber Alissa Violet was open about getting a nose job she’d been wanting for years — although it had some admittedly unexpected side affects like “smelling colors.”

  • Pokimane brutally roasts Sentinels Valorant after getting ‘rejected’ from analyst role – Dexerto

Pokimane brutally roasts Sentinels Valorant after getting ‘rejected’ from analyst role Twitch: PokimanePopular streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys brutally roasted Sentinels Valorant after they ‘rejected’ her for an analyst role, even seeing current player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek get involved. Sentinels’ Valorant roster has been at the center of the game’s competitive news recently, with their acquisition of former CS:GO pro Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek one of the most surprising esports stories for a long time. Shroud explained that the move came about through initially innocent discussions over dinner, a nonchalant background to a truly shocking esports move. Alongside the move to recruit shroud, the roster has been looking to improve on their recent struggles in the Valorant scene, openly recruiting an analyst to come in and coach. Rather jokingly, the org ‘rejected’ Pokimane on July 15, tweeting: “Roster update: We have decided not to move forward with Pokimane for our Valorant analyst position and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.” Pokimane roasts Sentinels Valorant for lacking analysts Poki’s response didn’t miss a beat though, asking: “You guys have analysts?” Attached to the tweet were Sentinels’ recent results, seeing them put together a five-match losing streak, with defeats to Cloud9, FaZe, OpTic, EG, and Luminosity. The tweet quickly – and understandably – amassed a great deal of attention, sitting at over 23,000 likes at the time of writing. Sentinels, to their credit, accepted the comment and said: “you make a good point. when can you start?” The brutal response from Poki even elicited comment from shroud, who simply commented: “HELP!!!” Poki, in jest, offered to be shroud’s duo moving forwards. The former CS:GO star has doubtless been recruited to try and turn around Sentinels’ struggles, but it’s a big ask for a streamer to come out of retirement and reinvigorate a struggling team. If anyone can do it though, it’s probably the human aimbot. Throwing Poki in as an analyst might help, too.

Pokimane is buying her fans Christmas presents from their Amazon wishlists Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has decided to give back this Christmas by going on a huge Amazon spending spree for her fans on Twitter, buying them dozens of presents from their wishlists in an effort to “spread a lil Christmas cheer.” The popular Twitch streamer, 24, is often inundated with presents from her fans around Christmas, and usually hosts an annual unboxing stream to get through them all. This time around though, to cap off 2020, Pokimane has decided to flip the gift-giving script: she wants to spread “a little Christmas cheer” by giving out presents to her Twitter fans, including furniture, school supplies, and clothes. “I know the holidays can be harder this year for people,” she wrote on Twitter on December 22. “Tryna spread a lil Christmas cheer by giving out presents in the comments! As of this article’s publication, more than 20.1k fans have commented on her post. A further 2.2k followers have also retweeted her message. Pokimane admitted the Christmas giving made her “feel like Oprah.” “So happy to be giving people stuff they need,” she wrote on her second Twitter account. “Take all my money, you kind souls… you’ll get a couch for your move! You get a notebook for school!! You get clothes for your newborn!” There’s one request she’s refusing to honor, however; some cheeky fans have been asking her to send out dildos — a sly reference to her last Christmas stream, where she was left red-faced after unwrapping a similar present. “Please stop asking for dildos though… it ain’t in my budget LMAO.” twitter makin me feel like oprah.. u get a couch for ur move! u get notebooks for school! u get clothes for ur newborn! plz stop asking for dildos tho it ain’t in my budget LMAO — imane 💜 (@imane) December 22, 2020 Want to get involved in Pokimane’s gift-giving? It’s easy! Head to her Twitter thread — link here — and throw in your request. We can’t guarantee she’ll see it, unfortunately, but we’d say it’s worth a shot anyway; you could get a free Christmas present out of it! There is one thing you need to do if you want a present though — Anys flagged that any potential wishlists need to have third-party shipping turned “on” so the Twitch star can send her Chrissy gifts through the Amazon website without a hitch. • Pokimane boyfriend speculation ramps up after she shouts out “handsome man” at Streamer Awards – Dexerto

Pokimane boyfriend speculation ramps up after she shouts out “handsome man” at Streamer Awards Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane is stirring up speculation about a potential boyfriend after calling her plus one for the Streamer Awards a “handsome man” in a vlog. The Streamer Awards took place on March 11 to much fanfare and acclaim. The Awards brought together some of the net’s top talent to celebrate the best and brightest among their order in a grassroots event organized by streamer QTCinderella. Nominees sat near the stage, along with their plus ones… and Pokimane’s date for the Awards is raising some eyebrows online. Poki notably presented the final award of the evening for Streamer of the Year. Her sparkling gown and shocking style dropped jaws all over the internet, but her dress isn’t the only thing that’s a hot topic right now. The streamer uploaded a vlog about her experience at the Streamer Awards on TikTok. During the vlog, she pointed out a guy sitting beside her — and it’s what she said about him that’s drawing attention from fans. Pokimane sparks boyfriend speculation after “handsome man” comment Most notably, Poki called him a “random handsome man sitting beside me.” This offhand comment immediately sparked speculation that Pokimane is dating someone, and that someone could likely be ‘Kevin.’ Poki first introduced Kevin to her fans back in December 2021, and he’s been an on-and-off recurring guest on her broadcast ever since. Considering that he went with her as her date for the Streamer Awards — and the fact that she called him “handsome” — fans are more convinced than ever that these two are dating on the down-low. “I think/hope Kevin and Poki are dating – just imagine how pretty their children would be,” one fan wrote in a comment. “‘Random handsome man,’” another fan commented, alongside the ‘eyes’ emoji. Despite dropping all these hints, it doesn’t look like Pokimane will be opening up about her relationship status anytime soon. In fact the streamer has adamantly claimed that she purposely avoids discussing her love life to prevent drama.

  • Pokimane breaks down while explaining why she “needs to live on a farm” – Dexerto

Pokimane breaks down while explaining why she “needs to live on a farm” Twitch: Pokimane / PixabayImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys only wants the best for everyone — that’s why she wants to move to a farm, breaking down on stream while explaining why the change of scenery is the perfect next step after streaming. Pokimane is one of the most wholesome streamers on Twitch, often lending a comforting shoulder to her viewers as well as other prominent broadcasters. However, sometimes Pokimane needs a little bit of alone time to think through her own life and let it all out, she admitted during her February 5 stream. While streaming, and “feeling emotional,” Pokimane burst into tears when the topic of cats came up. Being a cat mom, Pokimane will do anything for her pride and joy Mimi, but the thought of not doing enough scared the streamer. That’s why she wants to move to a farm. “‘Cats are literally made for the outside’,” she said, reading a viewer’s message, before reflecting on it and making a decision for her future. “I need to live on a farm, oh my god. I just realized that’s what I want. “I want to live on a farm where I can just have a cat and let them go and know it’ll be okay because then it’ll come back at least 99% of the time and I’ll know it’s just safe,” she added as she continued to think. As the emotes started rolling in from her viewers, Pokimane became a bit self-aware of her emotional state. However, that didn’t stop her from wanting to change how she lives her life, even wishing she could morph into a close friend. “I’m crying about my potential farm. Who am I, Greek? I wanna be Greek. Oh my god,” she said, tearing up in her chair. She did shift the blame of her rather emotional outburst onto hormones, but that didn’t stop Pokimane from reiterating her usual positive attitude towards life. “This is what being hormonal is like man. I can’t believe it. I have so many feelings for Mimi, you know, and all cats. I just want her to be happy. I just want everyone to be happy. I want to be happy too, this just stresses me out.” The streamer might just make such a move once her streaming career is over to take a break from the city lights and just chill with her cat. If enough of the OfflineTV crew get on board, maybe they might move the whole stream team out of town. Either way, while her viewers got a kick out of her outburst, it just further showed how compassionate Pokimane can be. She’s one of the platform’s most wholesome streamers, and this moment is just another badge to add to the collection.

  • Pokimane blasts users who “sexualize and profit” off streamers amid Deepfake drama – Dexerto

Pokimane blasts users who “sexualize and profit” off streamers amid Deepfake drama Instagram/PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is hitting out at users who think it’s okay to “sexualize” her as many streamers have been victims of deepfakes. Explicit deepfakes became a huge controversy in the Twitch community after Atrioc was exposed for looking at inappropriate images of streamers such as Pokimane and Maya Higa. The drama resulted in numerous affected streamers including Sweet Anita and BrookeAB to respond. QTCinderella even took things a step further and promised to sue the deepfake website. Now, Pokimane, who has no desire to create OnlyFans content, is letting her voice be heard by taking aim at anyone who believes it’s okay to sexualize and profit off her without even having her consent. Pokimane slams deepfake supporters after Atrioc controversy During a recent Twitch stream, Pokimane shut down claims that users were allowed to sexualize her because of content she’d posted in the past. “For anybody who’s all up in my comments like, ‘oh look at this photo you posted’ what about Maya? She literally makes the most wholesome content on earth and still deals with the exact same issues as me,” Anys blasted. The streamer went on to note that it makes “no difference” what streamers post or do, adding that people can upload whatever they wish to regardless. “That will means that you need their consent to do certain things including sexualizing and profiting off of it!” she exclaimed. All this controversy comes just a couple of months after Pokimane revealed she wanted to introduce legislation that would hold people accountable for their actions online. “I think if you want to pass a bill like you usually go in front of a group of politicians and you explain your cause. I’ll do it. I will do it. I have so many things to say,” she explained back in December. While nothing has materialized out of that just yet, it will be interesting to see if she – along with the likes of QTCinderella – end up taking their case to the highest branches of the US government.

Pokimane was in the midst of a random Duos stream when she queued up with a younger player, who was promoting his creator code by changing his username to ‘Code Space.’ Anys had a sneaking suspicion that the player was queue sniping her, a practice where players attempt to get in a squad with a top player or personality at the same time in order to play with them – which can result in some unpleasant experiences. A well-intentioned queue sniper? “I really hope you didn’t queue snipe me just to advertise your code, by the way,” Pokimane jokingly warned the player. “Can I ask you an honest question? Did you queue snipe me?” “I did, but not to advertise my code,” he answered. This prompted a hilarious reaction from Pokimane, who went on to ask him why he had queue sniped her in the first place. [Timestamp: 5:00 for mobile viewers] “Just to play with you,” the player replied. “I think you’re a generally nice person.” ‘Code Space,’ real name ‘Hayden,’ went on to divulge that he was just 15 years old – and even revealed that he had made it to the finals of Epic’s Blackheart tournament. Pokimane let out a shocked exclamation in response, visibly taken aback by the player’s skill at such a young age. “That’s dope!” she said of the news. “And you’re only 15, congrats!” 600https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1115357268051152898?s=20Fortnite’s youngest competitive players This wouldn’t be the first time a young player has made waves in competitive Fortnite; notable esports organization FaZe signed 13-year-old ‘H1ghsky’ in mid-March, following their acquisition of 15-year-old pro ‘Sway’ just a few days prior. • Pokimane blasts “obsessive” fan questions about her private life – Dexerto

Pokimane blasts “obsessive” fan questions about her private life Twitch: PokimaneTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has called out viewers who continue to enquire about her private life, slamming their questions as “weird, repetitive” and even “obsessive”. Pokimane has long been one of Twitch’s most popular creators, splitting her time between games and her immensely popular Just Chatting broadcasts. The latter often includes interacting with viewers and answering questions but, sometimes, viewers can cross the line into prying. Poki has proven in the past that she won’t tolerate viewers being rude – like the time she issued a perfect response to a viewer who called her ‘chubby’. On November 19, she had to draw a line when viewers continued to ask questions about her personal life and friendship group. The comments were prompted by one viewer who appears to have made multiple new Twitch accounts simply to ask Pokimane personal questions. During the stream in question, the viewer continuously enquired as to why Poki does not follow Wendy (better known as Natsumiii) on Twitch. Poki then opened up her account – started just a couple of weeks ago – and realized that almost all the viewer’s activity has been asking her personal questions about friends. “You’ve made so many accounts just to ask me the most weird and random questions about my friends,” Poki said. “‘Have you met this person? Why aren’t you following this person? Go do this, Go do that!’… Stop it. And your account is made November 9 because I’ve banned you so many times before. Guys if you see someone behaving this way, please tell them to stop.” Poki continued: “It’s weird and it’s obnoxious. Like, I love all of my friends dearly but please stop trying to psychoanalyse or micro-manage my friendships or relationships with others. Or asking so many weird, repetitive, obsessive questions. I live my private life off stream.” Plenty of the 25-year-old’s viewers supported her over the public call-out, drawing attention to a persistent problem that clearly frustrates Poki.

Pokimane is the most popular female streamer on Twitch, and an entertainment juggernaut with millions of subscribers across her Instagram and YouTube accounts. However, the Moroccan-Canadian was confused when someone infiltrated her Nintendo account, and made a curious purchase that left the streamer wondering what their motives were. Pokimane’s Nintendo account hacked The Twitch star took to Twitter to announce that her Nintendo account had been hacked on December 21, and that the infiltrator had made a purchase of Ubisoft’s rhythm game ‘Just Dance.’ “Someone hacked into my Nintendo account and purchased Just Dance… Thanks?” the popular entertainer explained to her followers, clearly confused as to why they would compromise her account just to buy that game. After tweeting out about the mysterious act against her, her fans replied with conspiracy theories, and debated as to the reasons behind the bizarre purchase. someone hacked into my nintendo account and purchased just dance.. thanks? 🤨 — pokimane (@pokimanelol) December 21, 2019 Hilariously, Team SoloMid star and fellow Twitch personality Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani replied to Pokimane with a joke photo of him looking suspicious, “implicating” himself as the hacker. Finding the picture amusing, the streamer quipped that she was okay with Myth being the hacker, because he was wearing her merch which she released this year. Popular streamer ‘FooYa’ joked that this was the hacker’s way of trying to get her to dance on stream, which Pokimane exclaimed “[Not gonna lie] I was wondering if that was what they were tryna say…” Regardless of what the perpetrator’s intention was by hacking Pokimane’s account, at least the Moroccan-Canadian has a new dancing game – although perhaps she will try to get a refund. • Pokimane becomes Lo-Fi Girl in partnership with Spotify – Dexerto

Pokimane becomes Lo-Fi Girl in partnership with Spotify Twitter: Pokimane / SpotifyTwitch star Pokimane has partnered with Spotify to take over the music streaming app’s homepage with a customized playlist for fans. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the most popular broadcasters on Twitch. Boasting over 8 million followers on the streaming platform, she’s the site’s 9th most-followed creator, as well as its most-followed female streamer. As such, Poki’s had her fair share of exciting collaborations before (like celebrating the premier of the Jujutsu Kaisen movie with anime streaming service Crunchyroll) — but no one expected the streaming paragon’s latest move. On October 19, Pokimane revealed that she’s partnered with Spotify to create a curated playlist with some of her favorite tunes. Poki’s playlist, titled ‘Poki’s Picks,’ has taken over the Spotify homepage, featuring a variety of genres like Future Funk, Hip-Hop, J-Pop, and more. Pokimane takes over Spotify’s homepage with custom playlist Her playlist is a total of 2 hours and 41 minutes long, and features 51 songs from artists like Tinashe, TANUKI, and Mariya Takeuchi, as well as a few songs from influencer-artists like Bella Poarch and Nessa Barrett. That’s not all; in promotional images for her collab with Spotify, Pokimane also dressed up as the famous ‘Lo-Fi Hip-Hop Girl’ of internet culture (even making sure to include her new pet cat, Beau). Fans can tune in to Poki’s custom playlist on Spotify’s homepage, or by clicking this link. This collaboration follows Pokimane’s decision to step back from daily streaming to focus on other outlets like TikTok and YouTube, which she announced in a vlog back in September. The streamer has since been focused on uploading lifestyle videos to her YouTube channel, although she is still fairly active on her Twitch channel.

  • Pokimane attempts Twitch eye-tracker challenge and fails hilariously – Dexerto

Pokimane attempts Twitch eye-tracker challenge and fails hilariously Pokimane, Twitch / FreepikPopular Fortnite and Minecraft, she also delves into other genres during her broadcasts, such as obscure dating sims, classic horror games, and even “Just Chatting” with her viewers. However, the streamer decided to turn her content up another notch with a unique challenge on September 12, using both eye-tracking software and a heart rate monitor to gauge her reactions to material on the site. Pokimane is one of Twitch’s most popular female streamers, boasting over three million subscribers on the platform. Of course, she was understandably apprehensive about the challenge, jokingly admitting that she “didn’t want to do this” in light of potentially being “exposed.” Despite her misgivings, Pokimane steeled herself and dove right in to the content – leading to a hilarious moment where she had to physically restrain herself from peeking at another bikini-clad streamer. “Great necklace,” Pokimane commented, the eye-tracking software showing that she was focused on the accessory. “Woah, look at those strands of hair. Look at that tree. Look at that… face. Look at the sun, look at the sun, look at the sun!” Despite her steadfast attempts, the streamer broke down during a following clip, which showed another female streamer flexing her pecs – a feat by which Pokimane was openly shocked. “Okay, I passed that because I was trying not to look, but I want to just look, so I’m playing it again,” she admitted, going on to call the clip “impressive.” Of course, Pokimane isn’t the only internet personality to have taken on an eye-tracking challenge, by far: in fact, Fortnite pro TSM Myth underwent the challenge during a stream just a few days prior, with Pokimane visibly cringing at his attempts to look elsewhere. “It’s not like I don’t expect people to look at different aspects of a picture, I just don’t want to know about it,” she said of his efforts. In spite of her original thoughts on the subject, it looks like Pokimane was eventually convinced to try her hand at the challenge, herself, showing that no matter the circumstances, eye-tracking software always makes for hilarious moments – especially when streamers slip up or even blatantly stop their challenge to watch the clips in question.

  • Pokimane baffled after Fortnite duo insults then flirts with her – Dexerto

Pokimane baffled after Fortnite duo insults then flirts with her Pokimane, TwitchTwitch star Imane “Pokimane” Anys is well-known for her humorous interactions with random Duos in Fortnite — but one of these duo fills took an awkward turn that no one saw coming. Pokimane often records her Fortnite sessions with other random players, many of whom are young children who are shocked to actually be playing with the famous streamer. However, not all of these players are young — nor innocent, as she found out during one of her Duo Fill excursions in mid-March. Pokimane’s Duo Fill adventure took place on International Women’s Day, a fact that she made sure to mention to her fellow players over the mic to get their reaction — but it wasn’t the holiday that spurred some vitriol from one of her teammates. The player apparently wasn’t impressed by her quirky sense of humor, after she joked about the exclusive Ninja skin he was wearing and asked if he was really the streamer. “What are you talking about?” he asked in response. “Yeah I’m Ninja, you f**king b**ch, what about it?” Needless to say, Anys was taken aback by his response, but managed to take the insult in stride by saying, “I was just wondering. …dude, two seconds in!” That wasn’t the end of their surprising conversation, though; the tone took a quick 180 after she jokingly admitted her real identity to the player, who proceeded to overtly flirt with the streamer. “Wait, are you a lady?” he asked. “It is International Womens’ Day,” she answered. “So you are. How old are you?” he continued. “Old enough,” she replied. “Old enough to what? (Censored)” The teammate went on to flirt with Pokimane, announcing, “I wanna get to know you” — as if he hadn’t just insulted her before their match had even begun. Anys was left floored by their interaction, which continued in a similar fashion throughout the game. “That was a very… interesting game,” she said of their conversation. “Is that common? ‘I wanna get to know you, baby girl.’ Hmmm.” (Topic begins at 2:15 for mobile viewers) Despite his best efforts, it doesn’t look like coming on strong is the best way to win Pokimane’s heart — nor insulting her, for that matter.

  • Pokimane apologizes for “women in the kitchen” joke after Twitch backlash – Dexerto

Pokimane apologizes for “women in the kitchen” joke after Twitch backlash Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has backpedaled on what the streamer says was simply a “harmless joke” about women in the kitchen and apologized after growing Twitch backlash swamped her channel earlier this week. Star Twitch streamer Pokimane has come under fire on the Amazon-owned platform this week after joking that “all women belong in the kitchen” in a recent stream. The Moroccan-Canadian’s apparently controversial take — which she made clear was an attempted joke at the time — happened on December 7, when she was asked if girls should still “cook and clean” in relationships. She laughed: “All women belong in the kitchen!” That seemed to be the end of the joke, until questions began popping up in her Twitch streaming chat over the following days. Near-regularly, in every stream since, viewers have asked her if she was being serious. Now, eight days later, Pokimane has moved to properly quash any suggestions she actually believes “women belong in the kitchen” in a December 14 apology. After days of comments in her Twitch chat, the 25-year-old decided to address the “kitchen” joke — a response she was shocked she ever had to make. First, Pokimane replied sarcastically. “I mean, like, a few reasons, I guess,” she said after a fan asked if she believed the claim, jokingly doubling down. “For starters, I really like food, so I’m in the kitchen a lot. Secondly, I don’t make the rules, I just repeat them sometimes. “Lastly,” the popular Twitch star added with a sly smile, “I think girls look really cute in aprons. So then really, why wouldn’t we want them to be in the kitchen?” The star couldn’t keep the facade up, however, and broke into peals of laughter. She then replied more seriously, apologizing to anyone that had felt offended by her comments. She also added that she “obviously never meant” the comments. “It was a f**king joke dudes,” she said. “I feel like the worst thing is having to explain a joke,” continued Pokimane. “Really, guys, don’t worry guys. God, I’m not sexist. On God, for real, not sexist by the way. I bet you a buck fifty that I’m not, I swear.” “Me supporting other female streamers and always talking about gendered issues, oh no, that’s the front. My one kitchen joke, for sure means I’m sexist.” This isn’t the first time this week that Pokimane has butted heads with her Twitch fans, after she made a child-stealing joke on December 12. Twitch’s top stream-queen joked: “You guys want to know how I know I’m a woman in my 20s? Because, when I’m walking out, and I see a little kid… I look at them. They look so damn cute. And I look at the parents, and they aren’t looking, and I’m like; it would be so easy to steal your child.” The Moroccan-Canadian star also came under fire this month for telling “well-off” streamers they should uninstall Blizzard games and stop playing.

Pokimane apologizes for “transphobic” attack helicopter comment Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has apologized over a “transphobic” comment made on her Instagram story, which some have said “invalidates trans people.” Recently, Pokimane has made headlines as she hit out at the toxicity of fans on social media amid some TikTok drama — but now it seems as though the shoe is on the other foot. Pokimane quickly received backlash for an Instagram story she posted on September 29, which was perceived to be transphobic and picked up traction on Instagram and Twitter. The post, which originally was meant to knock the use of the word ‘simp’ for someone “being remotely nice to a girl,” actually ended up going the wrong way as she referred to people as “male, female, attack helicopter, other” — which was swiftly called out as transphobic. https://twitter.com/grimtarot/status/1310786318138511361?s=20 “it’s 2020, attack helicopter ain’t f**king funny,” Twitter user grimtarot said. “Stop invalidating trans people.” After realizing that she had offended people, Pokimane was quick to head over to Instagram again and clarify her point, apologizing for her “ignorance” and taking responsibility for the mistake. “I so clearly missed the mark with this and I’m really sorry to anyone I’ve hurt or offended,” she said. “I don’t want to enable transphobic language or behavior, especially within the gaming space… I’ll do my best to be and do better.” The Twitch star continued: “Offending/hurting others is never my intention, but that doesn’t invalidate people’s feelings or frustrations.” She then shared a link for people to donate to a homeless black trans women fund, proving that it’s something she cares about and trying to help the situation, rather than hurt it.

Pokimane apologizes for going “MIA” in Twitch streaming update Twitch/PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys updated fans about her lack of streams since returning from a mental health reset earlier this year. Pokimane is one of the biggest streamers in the world with millions of followers across a variety of platforms, but her Twitch content is what many know her for. Her channel’s past broadcasts say It’s been eight days since the last time she went live, leading fans to wonder where the Twitch Queen has been. On October 27, the streamer made a post on her personal account to update fans and provide some information on when they’ll be able to actually see her next. Pokimane shares Twitch streaming update after going “MIA” “I actually miss streaming,” Pokimane wrote. “Sorry for being more MIA than I expected!” Back in September, Anys returned from a Twitch hiatus to reset mentally and revealed there would be some big schedule changes with her focusing more on other platforms like TikTok and YouTube. The streaming sensation had said she would likely be streaming only two or three days a week, but as she admitted, there’s been a bit more of a gap than she thought there would be. However, Pokimane says she is now recommitted to streaming and plans to do a lot more of it for the remainder of 2022. “Gonna spend the weekend with my parents and be back to work for the rest of the year,” she explained. As such, it would seem like viewers can expect to see her back early next week for a Twitch return, but it’s anyone’s guess what the streamer has planned for 2023 as she looks to diversify her content.

Pokimane annoyed after viewer signs her up for private content website Twitch: PokimaneTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left frustrated during her April 4 broadcast when she found out her email was leaked and used to sign up for a private content website. Pokimane is not only the top female streamer on Twitch, she’s also an absolute entertainment juggernaut with millions of followers across her YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. However, unfortunately her popularity means she is sometimes the target of trolls, and during her latest broadcast she opened up to her chat about a viewer who signed her up for a private content account and told them to “stop.” Pokimane hits out at viewer who used her leaked email The streamer was in the middle of a broadcast talking to viewers when she opened up about her email being leaked. The Morocco-Canadian demonstrated an example of why she “hates” when it happens. “This is why I hate it when my email gets leaked!” she exclaimed. She then gave her audience a view of her inbox which showed that someone had used her account to sign up with a popular private content site. Hitting out at the troll that did it, she joked, “Stop doing it. Stop it! This isn’t going to make me have an account. Like what. Do you expect me to confirm it?” Frustrated, she then shook her head and said “Man… Stop!” Unfortunately for the popular Twitch personality, it didn’t stop there. Shortly after, a donation came in that listed off all the games that she supposedly “struggled” with during her career. “Games you’ve struggled in: Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Jump King, Until Dawn, Minecraft. And I won’t get into your old let’s plays,” the troll donation said. Replying to it, she shot back with “Wow, naming every single game I’ve ever played. Good one. That’s really funny. I would have never thought of that. You know what the best part of that is? What I said was a joke, and you took it seriously and you did a really obvious joke.” The streamer is not new to people trying to give her grief and has mastered the ability to roast those that come at her, proving that she is she is a force to be reckoned with. Regardless of the troll attempts, she is crushing it on the platform in 2020. At the time of writing the Moroccan- Canadian has over 4.2 million followers on her channel, and continues to be one of the most watched personalities on Twitch.

  • Pokimane apologizes after backlash for using AAVE language in Twitch stream title – Dexerto

Pokimane apologizes after backlash for using AAVE language in Twitch stream title Instagram/pokimanelolPokimane has apologized for using AAVE (African American Vernacular English) in the title of her August 19 Twitch stream. Fans called her out, claiming she was “mocking” the dialect form. Pokimane is the latest social media personality to spark controversy over the use AAVE. Olivia Rodrigo was slammed by Twitter users back in July for adopting a ‘blaccent’ and using phrases such as “I be trending.” Non-black celebrities are regularly pulled up for their use of the dialect. Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande and Awkwafina have all come under the firing line. Pokimane apologizes for AAVE language Pokimane titled her August 19 stream “on God for real for real? It’s bussin bussin (sic) in here.” The caption included laughing and fire emojis. Fans responded with criticism on Twitter. User @hotdemonwitch posted a screenshot of the title, captioning it “stop.” They later clarified their position, saying “I posted this because the title felt mocking and others believed it was offensive.” The streamer Tweeted an apology on August 20: “Wanted to apologize if I overused AAVE… today.” Pokimane admitted she “wasn’t aware that some of those terms were AAVE.” She concluded, “love to those who bought it to my attention!” sorry for late night tweet but wanted to apologize if i overused aave in my twitch title today, was not aware that some of those terms were aave & didn’t mean it in a mocking way whatsoever. trying to change the vod title too 🙂 much love to those who brought it to my attention! — imane 💜 (@imane) August 20, 2021 As more people are conflating AAVE with “Gen-Z slang” or “internet speak,” what actually is AAVE? Why do fans think it’s important to know the difference? What is AAVE? African American Vernacular English pre-dates Gen-Z and the internet as a whole. AAVE originated in the US’ Black community, and was shaped by “the process of second language acquisition.” Many people within the Black community still use AAVE today. Videos of celebrities such as Nicki Minaj and NeNe Leakes have previously gone viral for their use of the dialect. This has lead to widespread usage of AAVE on the internet in the form of memes, including “chile, anyways.” pokimane mocking aave in her stream title as a joke having had used the n slur is unsettling, and she misuses aave all the time talking too pic.twitter.com/CEk6nvcmtH — xuan 🇵🇸 (@newjeans0) August 19, 2021 Twitter users and academics have commented on how this can be “problematic.” While Black people have been mocked for using AAVE, many others have branded it a “Gen-Z trend.”

No trend has taken over Twitch in 2021 like the “hot tub meta”. With Twitch banning streamers from wearing exposing clothing bar “contextual exceptions“, certain streamers have started producing content from hot tubs, which has caused a fair bit of controversy. The news comes as a surprise to fans as Pokimane has been a fairly vocal critic of Twitch as the meta has grown. Earlier in May, she accused the platform of doing a “bad job of making it clear what is acceptable and what isn’t.” But some streamers have approached the drama much more lightheartedly, with H3H3’s Ethan Klein and G2 Esports CEO Carlos ‘Ocelote’ Rodriguez creating their own ironic takes on the meta, much to the enjoyment of fans. Despite her earlier criticism, Pokimane has announced what will probably be the most-watched hot tub stream yet. On May 8, Pokimane tweeted that she had persuaded OTV to produce a hot tub stream. “Convinced otv to do a hot tub stream for my birthday lmaooo,” she said. It’s fair to say she got a rather enthusiastic response from streamers across Twitch, as the likes of JakeNBake and Mizkif offered their services for getting involved with the stream, with the former suggesting he could bring his “VR friends” from his legendary hot tub stream. There was a particular appetite from Toast, Michael Reeves and Scarra fans, one of whom referenced a controversial Indiefoxxx stream. “Can’t wait to see Michael and Toast write my name on their body,” they said. We don’t know the exact time yet, but the fact Pokimane wants it to be done for her birthday suggests it will take place on or near Friday, May 14, as she turns 25. Fans will hope every OTV member gets involved in some capacity, but you shouldn’t expect it to be taken too seriously either way. It wouldn’t surprise us to see Reeves show up with some bizarre contraption that throws the whole thing into chaos.

On November 8, 2023, Pokimane revealed that she’s got a major announcement coming up and that she wants to share it with smaller, up-and-coming creators. Pokimane teases “biggest announcement” in her career with new product launch Although she’s one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, Poki notably stepped away from broadcasting full-time back in 2022 to focus on other avenues like vlogging, making TikTok content, and focusing on herself. Now, it looks like the streamer is taking another big leap, saying that she’s launching her very own product in a tweet on November 8. “Biggest announcement of my career next Monday,” she wrote. “And it’s a product launch! I would love to send it to some smaller / up-and-coming creators — who wants to try it?” At the time of writing, it’s unclear what Poki’s product could be, but smaller creators are already jumping at the chance of getting to try it out. In fact, Poki has already agreed to send a box to a few streamers who responded to her post. Given Poki’s love of everything skincare and beauty, it’s possible that her new product could be related to those things… but for now, it’s up in the air. Pokimane announces shock Twitch break for “mental reset” Pokimane TwitchTwitch star Pokimane is taking time off streaming following her TwitchCon appearance in Amsterdam to focus on “life offline” with a mental reset. As one of the most prominent faces on Twitch, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has built a steady reputation for an easy-going stream that audiences can expect to go live throughout regular intervals during the week. She’s one of Twitch’s top channels on the platform, is by far the most followed female streamer and also averages about 20,000 viewers every stream, according to data from SullyGnome. After coming off from a widely successful 2021, Pokimane is taking a step back to recalibrate before going live again. Pokimane will take a leave from content creation and her Twitch streams, while leaving her return open for a future date. “I’ve been feeling in need of a mental reset and some time to focus on myself / my life offline,” she said. “[In my opinion,] proper breaks are essential to one’s health / career longevity, and I’m so grateful for the support y’all have shown me over the years. “Thanks for putting me in a position where I’m able to take time off like this. Looking forward to coming back refreshed and ready to make more content. Take care, stay hydrated, and see you soon.” Pokimane has been vigilant when it comes to her mental state and her career. The popular figure has taken extended breaks in the past, citing bad cases of burnout as an “overworking streamer.” One of her breaks went over about a month (with an abrupt Among Us stream mixed in there) but it’s never set in stone how long an individual needs to fully reset. It’s unclear when the Queen of Twitch will come back, though her 9.2 million followers will surely keep an eye out for her return.

  • Pokimane and LilyPichu impress OfflineTV with shocking archery abilities – Dexerto

Pokimane and LilyPichu impress OfflineTV with shocking archery abilities OfflineTVThe OfflineTV crew took archery lessons on the coast of Los Angeles, and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Lily ‘LilyPichu‘ Ki’s natural bow-shooting abilities impressed both their housemates and their instructor. The OfflineTV team are never shy about trying something new. As long as they all do it together, they film it, and proceed to laugh at each other at the first chance they get. The six-person roster of streamers/YouTubers took on a new challenge together in their February 27 upload, as the whole squad traveled to South Bay Archery Lessons in Redondo Beach. The collective of Pokimane, LilyPichu, Michael Reeves, Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang, Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan, and William ‘Scarra’ Li were introduced to their fascinating archery instructor by the name of Paul Farbman. After a lengthy introduction and safety discussion, Farbman brought out the bows, and LilyPichu immediately put the rest of the team on notice with some scarily accurate first shots. Toast jokingly remarked that the “pressure’s on” when Lily ended up firing first, as Fedmyster said “it would set the tone for the whole video” – but she handled the pressure with ease and set a high bar with her first strike hitting the target area dead center. After some practice by the whole team, their teacher brought out more precise targets, and Lily again impressed with two hits on the yellow bullseye area. Farbman jokingly asked her when she was going to tell the rest of OfflineTV that she had been taking private lessons. However, Pokimane took over the competition in the later rounds, including a 4/4 performance where she hit the red section (the section just outside the bullseye) with each arrow, catapulting her into the lead. She finished off her friends in the final round, being the first to hit the balloon in the bullseye and cementing her first-place finish. Fedmyster unfortunately finished in last, after requiring multiple tries to pop the balloon in the final round – meaning he would be paying for the group’s dinner that evening. The archery begins officially at 5:02 for mobile readers. While some did better than others, you couldn’t tell from their instructor’s feedback, who consistently provided positive reinforcement to the gang of internet stars and transformed them into efficient medieval killing machines that could tangle with the likes of Legolas or Hawkeye (If they were balloons, that is). Between archery, skydiving, and even a laser tag game designed by Michael Reeves himself, the OfflineTV crew isn’t scared of a little danger if it means creating good content, and fans ought to be curious as to what the group is going to do next.

  • Pokimane to take ‘mental health’ break from streaming and social media – Dexerto

Pokimane to take ‘mental health’ break from streaming and social media YouTube: Pokimane[jwplayer 3rV0GuQ7]Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys published a message to Twitter on August 5, revealing that she will be taking a month-long break from streaming after quarantine and overwork have burned her out. Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular broadcasters, boasting over five million followers on the platform, as well as finding success on other social media outlets like YouTube and Instagram. However, the streamer has been a subject of contention lately, after angry fans expressed dismay that she was keeping her relationship under wraps — but that doesn’t seem to be the reason as to why she’s taking a step back from the camera. In a tweet on August 5, Imane explained that she will be taking a month-long break from posting on social media and streaming on Twitch after keeping a consistent schedule over almost 6 years on the platform. The streamer explained that her decision was brought about by burnout, claiming that the quarantine has shut down conventions and ways for her to see her fans, which are “joys and motivation for making content.” “This has led to me feeling burnt out for quite some time, and because of that, I’ve been planning to take a month off,” she explained. “I haven’t taken a month off since I graduated from high school over 6 years ago, and I feel long overdue for some time away from my career and online expectations.” “I want to be happy and excited to make content for you all, and I’m looking forward to getting back in that head space,” she continued. “Until then, I hope you use this message as a reminder to take care of yourselves.” Thus far, Pokimane’s social media and streaming hiatus has been met with approval from fans, and comes just a month after YouTuber JackSepticEye’s own lengthy hiatus from content creation due to similar reasons. For now, it looks like viewers will have to wait a month for new streams from their favorite broadcaster as Pokimane disconnects and takes a much-needed siesta away from the internet.

  • Pokimane admits she feels “guilty” about her life as a Twitch star – Dexerto

Pokimane admits she feels “guilty” about her life as a Twitch star Instagram: pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane has claimed she feels “guilty” for being an influencer, saying her career is sometimes at odds with her values around social media and its negative effects on people who use it. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most-followed streamers and the platform’s most-followed female broadcaster, overall. That’s not all; Poki also boasts a massive following on sites like Instagram and TikTok, where she’s garnered over 12 million followers, combined. As such, it’s clear that Pokimane is a veritable internet icon — but she recently revealed that her career as an influencer has left her feeling “guilty” at times. Pokimane feels “guilty” about being an influencer Pokimane opened up about her feelings regarding her profession in an Instagram Stories post on May 29, saying the negative impact that social media can have on people sometimes makes her feel “guilty” about her job. “Every now and then I become really reflective (and lowkey feel guilty) about being a content creator / profiting from social media because it’s so addicting and can be so harmful, especially to young minds,” she wrote via the Notes app. “I especially find myself feeling this way when I realize how much social media impacts my personality, life, opinions, and desires. I cope by trying to be a positive influence on others, or hope that I can use social media as a tool to take care of themselves, spend time outdoors, and create healthy boundaries with all the apps we use.” Pokimane ended her statement by reminding readers that the digital space is just that — “virtual, made up, and fake, so don’t lose yourself in it and compare yourself to it.” Studies have shown that social media can have both a positive a negative impact on people who use it regularly. Research led by Prof Yvonne Kelly, from University College London, discovered a link between depression in girls and the time they spent on social media, for instance. This is just the latest in a string of moments lately where Pokimane has opened up about her feelings on her career. The streamer recently stepped back from being a member of OfflineTV, and in 2022, she made the decision to switch her focus from daily streams to creating other content like vlogs and TikToks. It seems that Pokimane is practicing what she preaches by “creating healthy boundaries” with social media — something she brought up in a video this April, saying that apps can create a “toxic” obsession with image for regular users.

  • Pokimane admits she’s burnt out from Twitch streaming: “It’s time for a change” – Dexerto

Pokimane admits she’s burnt out from Twitch streaming: “It’s time for a change” YouTube: imanePokimane revealed that she’s becoming exhausted by her status as a top Twitch streamer, claiming that she’s “burnt out” from the many projects she feels she should be working on. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of the biggest influencers on the internet right now. Boasting over 8 million followers on Twitch, Anys has accrued a large social media presence on multiple other platforms and has even appeared in a major Hollywood film and music video. While it sounds like a glamorous lifestyle from the outside, being a social media star isn’t always a walk in the park. Anys has repeatedly expressed her concerns with taking breaks away from her grueling streaming schedule, alongside the multitude of other projects she’s involved in. However, it seems that her busy schedule and heavy workload have come to a head, as the streamer opened up to fans during a vlog on her second channel about just how much the stress is affecting her mental health. Pokimane opens up on Twitch career In her spiel, Anys stated that, from now on, she only wants to take on projects that she “wants to do,” claiming that she’s officially “burnt out, unlike any other way I’ve been burnt out in the past.” Read More: Top 20 most followed Twitch streamers – “I just find myself doing so many things that I’m not excited about,” she explained. ” …I’m just a f**king shoulder. I always do things that I feel like I should do.” “All these years, I’ve been living my life and framing it in such a way where I avoid having any regret. But avoiding regret does not mean you are pursuing what you want. Those are two very, very different things.” Admits it may be time for a change The streamer went on to claim that it’s “time for a change” in her life, and expressed disdain for the constant money-chasing culture of the modern age that runs parallel to her life as a full-time “overworking” streamer. “Why do I have seven figures in my bank account for?” she declared. “To feel like a slave to what I’m expected to do or to the capitalistic idea of making the most amount of money you can? …I just don’t want this to be my norm.” (Topic begins at 1:45) Thus far, Pokimane has been met with support from her fans and friends. It doesn’t look like she’ll be taking an imminent break, but it wouldn’t be surprising, as the streamer has done so before over similar concerns. On the bright side, Pokimane did let slip that she’s founding a company that will be announced “very soon” — so fans can look forward to even more content from their favorite influencer in the near future.

  • Pokimane admits online beef almost led to real “fight” when clubbing – Dexerto

Pokimane admits online beef almost led to real “fight” when clubbing Twitch: PokimanePokimane has admitted that she almost got into a fight over the past weekend while she was out clubbing, hinting that the person involved is someone who has “beef” with the content creator. During her January 31 stream, content creator Imane “Pokimane” Anys revealed that she almost got into a physical altercation with another woman during her most recent clubbing experience. “Guys, it was my third or maybe fourth time clubbing this weekend. I don’t know if it’s even considering clubbing but I’m going to consider it clubbing. And I almost got into a fight, lowkey.” Pokimane went on to add, “I don’t want to say too much because sometimes I forget that I’m on a public platform, you know what I’m saying. But let’s just say this much. Like I know this girl has beef with me and I thought we could maybe hash it out.” Pokimane then stopped herself before ending the sentence. However, the pause seemingly indicated that the two were not in fact able to hash it out or resolve any lingering issues. “So stay tuned, if we do hash it out I’ll update you guys but I don’t want to until then, you know.” Someone in chat then asked Poki if she believed she could take the unnamed person in a fight if they were to go toe-to-toe. Poki hesitated for a quick moment before confidently answering, “yeah.” This isn’t the first time the idea of a fight has been mentioned by Pokimane. Back in November 2022, viewers floated the idea of a boxing match between her and Corinna Kopf after the two began beefing online. However, Poki quickly shut down the idea, stating that she would “need a good reason” to do something like that. In the past week, the streamer has found herself caught in the middle of major online drama after fellow content creator Atrioc admitted that he has watched inappropriate deep fake videos of herself as well as other female streamers. • Pokimane addresses rumors about Fitz being her boyfriend after Fed drama – Dexerto

Pokimane addresses rumors about Fitz being her boyfriend after Fed drama Pokimane, TwitchPopular streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has responded to claims that she was seeing YouTube star Fitz after Fedmyster’s leaked document hinted at the content creator’s boyfriend. After a document, written by Fedmyster on his history with Pokimane was leaked, fans have been circulating rumors about some of the details hinted at in the behind-the-scenes drama. There was one anonymous character that Fedmyster had named “Steve” in the document, who was also involved with Pokimane, shortly after their relationship had ended. Many fans had suggested that it was Australian-based YouTube star Fitz. When Fitz was asked if he was Pokimane’s boyfriend during the time period mentioned, he made a joke on the subject inferring that he was, which only further fueled the rumors that they were dating at that time. However, Pokimane finally responded to the Fitz rumors in a recent stream, claiming that he was not who Fedmyster was referring to in the original document. “Speaking about Fitz, he messaged me today and essentially made a joke about him being one of the secret names in the Fed document,” she explained, confirming that the Fitz rumors were a joke. Topic starts at 0:15 “I didn’t meet Fitz until later, like 2019,” she admitted, revealing that the timeline was inaccurate, “also Fitz lives on the other side of the world, so there’s no way for me to be seeing him.” The Twitch streamer followed up by explaining the number of rumors circulating about her had become difficult to deal with. “There are just so many lies about me at this point that I’m losing f***ing track, I really am! So I just feel like I need to live life without caring or something, but it’s really hard.” She finished up by urging fans to “stop thinking about” or speculating over her personal life and relationships, after previously revealing that she just had just wanted to move past the latest drama.

  • Pokimane admits Fedmyster was “big reason” why she left Offline TV house – Dexerto

Pokimane admits Fedmyster was “big reason” why she left Offline TV house Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has admitted former OfflineTV star Federico ‘Fedmyster’ Gaytan, who has had multiple sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him, was a “big reason” she moved out of the group’s Los Angeles mansion. On June 19, Pokimane revealed she was leaving the Offline TV house nearly a year after the shift to Los Angeles. The Twitch star was one of the four original members of OTV’s content group, dating all the way back to mid-2017. At the time, Anys declared her move had “nothing to do with Offline TV,” and was just about her getting to live with other friends. That may not have been entirely true, however, after she revealed Fedmyster played a major role in her decision, just days after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled at him by Offline TV members. Pokimane admitted Fedmyster spent much of their friendship “manipulating [her] without her knowing,” and making sure he controlled the narrative around her relationships, friends in the house, and “all of [her] personal life.” “Although I hadn’t had any major issues with Fed since moving into the new house, I was still not entirely happy and felt a lot of pent-up resentment for him,” Pokimane explained in a short June 28 broadcast addressing the ongoing situation. “I felt the only proper and unproblematic way for me to deal with my emotions was to move out. There were a lot of reasons… [but] Fed was a big pushing force, but I do still mean all the other things I said too. Was he a part of that though? Yes.” Pokimane revealed Gaytan would “tell other guys [she was dating him]” so that they would “back off,” and in one instance even told a date Anys had brought to an OTV party that they were an item, but that “no one could know about it.” “He would lie a lot. I had a lot of trust issues with him over the years,” Pokimane continued, “and we would fight a lot about things. If he was in the wrong, he would ignore my existence in the house. He would literally refuse to acknowledge me.” During some of these times, Anys would confront Fedmyster, she said, to “try and sort things out,” but he would continue to ignore. On top of that, he would lie about the situation to their friends and colleagues, so that she would “sound really crazy” and “in the wrong.” It wasn’t until Pokimane sat down with the rest of the Offline TV members, including Yvonne and LilyPichu, that she discussed “the extent of what Fed had actually been doing” all these years “behind [her] back.” “I became aware of the fact he would lie about me a lot, and create narratives in his favor that would insinuate a lot of negative things about me. This drove everyone around me away, and it’s baffling that I only just found this out.” “It’s really hard for me to explain how bad it feels to find out the person I was closest to, and the person I shared how badly I wanted these friendships with, was the same person who was actually isolating me and sabotaging these friendships for me,” she continued. “I don’t know if that was his intention, I’d like to think it was more a careless or inconsiderate thing, but ultimately he drove everyone around me away from me. “I started freaking crying at the intervention, and after, just out of mourning for all the years of friendships I lost because of him. He was the first person I trusted, and the last person I expected to act like this towards me, and around me.” Fedmyster first joined Offline TV in 2017 as production editor but wasn’t officially made part of the content team until 2018. He has now been removed from the entertainment group. Pokimane moved out on June 19. She has not made it clear whether she is reconsidering returning to the Offline TV house following Fed’s removal. Lilypichu, Yvonne, Toast, Michael Reeves and Scarra still live in the house. Scarra, who co-founded the house, revealed there had been several behind-the-scenes talks about whether they should “close” Offline TV, but confirmed the group had decided “to keep Offline operating,” with aims to “return to normal soon.”

  • Pokimane accused of ‘cheating’ after exploiting Teamfight Tactics bug – Dexerto

Pokimane accused of ‘cheating’ after exploiting Teamfight Tactics bug Popular League of Legends’ Autobattler mode ‘Teamfight Tactics.’ Riot unleashed their Teamfight Tactics Autobattler mode in mid-June, giving a breath of fresh air to their classic battle arena title League of Legends – but it seems that a unique bug might be overturning the competition. This particular glitch occurs during Teamfight Tactics’ initial shared draft round, allowing players to bug into the golden circle and pick their Champion from the middle carousel ahead of everyone else, ultimately giving them better priority for a top pick. The bug can be achieved by clicking inside of the circle right as the match begins, giving users a leg up on the opposition: a “tactic” that Pokimane employed during a stream on July 9. “I did it!” she exclaimed after pulling off the glitch. “It’s so I get pick earlier before everyone else. I’m so good at this game, dude! I’ve done this bug so many times.” While Pokimane was amused at being able to exploit the glitch, commenters across the net were divided on the morality of the situation, with some arguing that she is effectively cheating by abusing the bug. “This is why we can’t have nice things,” another said. “At every turn, you try to take advantage over the others. Pathetic.” However, some viewers argue that the bug is free game until developers fix the issue, with some even claiming that abuse will give developers more data on the glitch to better resolve the matter. “…You can sit there and say ‘don’t use bugs, it’s cheating’ all day, but at the end of the day in a competitive environment, players will use all of their resources to secure the win, including exploits,” one user wrote. Some viewers noted the unfairness with which Pokimane is treated regarding her gameplay, pointing out that if Forsen had used such a glitch, he would be praised for it. Pokimane has yet to address her use of the bug via her social media accounts as of the publication of this article.

  • Pokimane addresses boyfriend claims after TikTok video sparks rumors – Dexerto

Pokimane addresses boyfriend claims after TikTok video sparks rumors Instagram: roydianchan, pokimanelolTwitch star Pokimane has responded to speculation from fans after her latest TikTok video sparked rumors that she has a secret boyfriend. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is addressing rumors about her love life after fans noticed a “mystery guy” in one of her recent TikToks. Pokimane has been highly secretive about her romantic prospects throughout her ten-year career as a Twitch streamer. Although she’s been linked to various other influencers here and there, nothing has ever been confirmed from Poki herself. Last year, these rumors rose to a fever pitch after she invited a guy named “Kevin” onto her stream, causing fans to speculate that the two were secretly dating. Pokimane’s new TikTok sparks boyfriend rumors Poki never confirmed nor denied her possible romantic involvement with Kevin… but now, fans are focused on a different guy entirely. On January 29, Pokimane uploaded a short clip to TikTok showing a glimpse of her daily life. In the video, she goes to a gym to work out, where she’s seen exercising with an unknown man. “First thing’s first, I go to the gym,” Anys narrates over the footage. “He lifts. I lift. It’s very heavy, and it hurts.” Viewers were instantly tuned into the mysterious guy she was working out with, prompting one commenter to ask: “He lifts? Who he Poki? Who he?” However, according to Pokimane, there’s absolutely nothing going on between them. In fact, the streamer says he’s just her personal trainer and is already in a committed relationship with someone else. “Lmao it’s my trainer @roydian on Instagram!” she answered. “He has a very hot model girlfriend.” It looks like Pokimane’s love life is still under wraps… and she says she plans on keeping it this way, claiming in a previous video that if she starts “clarifying certain assumptions involving me and other people, it kind of narrows down who I might see or might not.”

  • Pokimane accidentally kills her Minecraft dog and it’s actually pretty sad – Dexerto

Pokimane accidentally kills her Minecraft dog and it’s actually pretty sad Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left distraught after she accidentally killed her dog in Minecraft and was immediately on the hunt for a new pet sidekick. Despite being released all the way back in 2009, Minecraft has hit major popularity once again on both YouTube and Twitch. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been able to reach 100 million subscribers with his Minecraft series, while Twitch streamers like Pokimane have jumped on board with their own realms and begun playing with friends. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows as Poki herself has discovered – as one wrong swing of a sword, or even a shovel, can cause the ultimate heartbreak. 600During her September 6 stream, the popular broadcaster had been playing alongside Dimitri ‘Greekgodx’ Antonatos when she began clearing out some grass and dirt that had appeared among her sandy shore. As she broke the final few pieces, Poki was horrified to find that her pet dog had become trapped under the falling sand and was dying. “Oh my god, my dog!” she called out, before quickly trying to dig him free. “No! No, no, my dog,” the streamer added before being greeted with a death message. GreekGodx couldn’t help but laugh at her heartache, however, even though Pokimane was genuinely disappointed. After continuing to play for a few more moments, all the while still completely stunned, Pokimane finally offered up some words to her viewers. The streamer said: “I can’t believe I just killed my dog by accident. I didn’t even know that was a thing.” After another brief pause, Poki continued: “Oh my God, I’m so sad – I need a new dog.” With this being Minecraft, acquiring a new dog isn’t too hard – you just need a decent stack of bones and a good slice of luck to stumble across a wild animal. Amid the heartbreak, it remains to be seen if Poki will continue with her hilarious stream of Mojang’s sandbox title or if something else will take her fancy in the long run.

  • Pokimane accidentally trolls viewer with hilarious soundboard slip-up – Dexerto

Pokimane accidentally trolls viewer with hilarious soundboard slip-up Twitch: PokimaneWhile scrolling through her chat and responding to her viewers, Pokimane accidentally trolled one of her fans with a soundboard mishap, leaving the rest of her chat in absolute stitches. Twitch chat is arguably one of the most divisive places on the internet. Depending on the community a streamer has, it can become undeniably toxic or, on the other side of the spectrum, a joyful place for the streamer and their followers to interact. While countless viewers have been banned from Pokimane’s chat — resulting in some very strange unban requests — it’s not always a bad place. In fact, during this stream, she wanted to help out and use the chat for good but ended up accidentally bullying one of her viewers seeking advice. In her February 11 Twitch stream, Pokimane was discussing how people being kind has changed over time, responding directly to viewer’s thoughts and comments on the issue. When scrolling, though, one comment caught her eye, starting with a big caps-locked “POKI I NEED HELP!” It continued to explain that they were going on a date with a girl and she was going to “sleep over” after going to the movies, so they asked whether they should buy their date flowers. Instead of the advice or words of encouragement the chatter might have expected, though, Poki hit her soundboard, with the classic ‘Why the f**k you lying’ meme starting to blare out. Poki immediately paused the sound, clearly apologetic, saying “Oh my god, I did not mean to press that … No, I didn’t, look, I meant to press the applause!” Pokimane then showed the order of her soundboard, proving that the applause button is right next to it, but the chat had already gone flying, laughing at the mishap alongside the streamer herself. It goes without saying that Poki will double-check her soundboard next time she uses it to respond to such a message.

  • Pokimane demands Twitch gambling ban following ItsSliker scam accusations – Dexerto

Pokimane demands Twitch gambling ban following ItsSliker scam accusations Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is calling for Twitch to ban gambling streams from the platform. Gambling streams and concerns about advertising gambling have been a hot topic on Twitch for quite some time now. With Twitch’s audience being primarily younger viewers, the Amazon-owned platform is keen to find some sort of solution, stating that they take “any potential harm to our community extremely seriously.” Now, even Twitch’s top creators are calling for a crackdown on gambling content on the platform. Pokimane calls for Twitch ban gambling streams On September 18, popular Twitch streamer Pokimane — one of the platform’s biggest creators, with over 9M followers — put out a tweet calling for gambling streams to be banned. “Like if twitch should ban gambling,” the Twitch star wrote, which so far has over 125k likes at the time of writing. In other replies, she said: “Online gambling (and Twitch platforming it) allows for more people to become addicted and start at younger ages. Following on from a message from a user that said the industry makes too much money to be stopped, Pokimane added: “Public pressure is needed imo. Obviously they won’t do anything as long as it’s free money for them, but that’s not an outcome I want or am OK with.” The tweets from the female entertainer comes just after drama emerged in the community, as Twitch partner ‘ItsSliker’ was accused of scamming’ fans and fellow streamers for thousands of dollars. He later confessed to the accusations on stream and admitted it was due to his crippling gambling addiction. Many have sided with Pokimane, agreeing that Twitch needs to crack down on gambling streams in some way or another. On the other hand, others have disagreed, and noted content such as hot tub streams are just as bad. Either way, it shouldn’t be too long until we see a response from Twitch, with such a large part of the community demanding for action to be taken.

  • PokerStars terminates contract with True Geordie after “islamophobic” remarks in Andrew Tate beef – Dexerto

PokerStars terminates contract with True Geordie after “islamophobic” remarks in Andrew Tate beef YouTube: True Geordie/PokerStarsOnline poker platform PokerStars has terminated its contract with UK YouTuber Brian Davis, better known as True Geordie, after the podcaster was accused of Islamophobia following comments made about divisive viral star Andrew Tate. It became public knowledge that Tate had converted to Islam in October 2022, amid ongoing beef with the likes of KSI, Logan Paul, and, of course, True Geordie. Just weeks later, True Geordie took shots at Tate, and used his faith against him in what the Brit called an “idiotic joke.” The joke itself suggested that Tate should “do the right thing,” implying from an earlier comment that he should “blow himself up.” Several days later, the clip itself started going viral, with Tate also responding to Geordie’s comments, accusing him of making racist remarks and that “you’re going to learn very quickly that was a mistake.” In the following days, after the situation went viral, Geordie posted an apology video that drew some derision from viewers as he asked for subscribers and likes at the end, with some also accusing him of “acting like the victim” in the scenario. He was promptly dropped by fitness apparel brand Gymshark, and now PokerStars have followed suit, releasing their own statement and confirming that they will no longer be working with him. “We have terminated our contract with True Geordie with immediate effect,” it said. “At PokerStars, we are committed to making poker as inclusive and accessible as possible, and do not tolerate any comments or attitudes that don’t align with our inclusive values.” Since posting his apology video to YouTube, Geordie has not yet made any public statement in regard to either the situation itself or the brands that are ending their partnerships with him.

  • Pokimane baffled after Instagram removes post for “sexual solicitation” – Dexerto

Pokimane baffled after Instagram removes post for “sexual solicitation” Instagram/pokimanelolTwitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was left absolutely confused after Instagram removed one of her photos for promoting sexual activity. Pokimane has been one of the top Twitch streamers for a number of years now, frequently playing games such as Valorant and Overwatch with her flock of adoring viewers. Despite fan-demand for the Moroccan-Canadian to be more like fellow streamer Alinity and start creating OnlyFans content, Anys has been adamant that sexual content just isn’t for her. Amazingly, that didn’t stop Instagram from taking issue with one of her posts from back in July of 2022 when Pokimane jokingly inquired about being a “sugar momma.” Instagram removes Pokimane photo for “sexual solicitation” In a now-deleted tweet on February 14, Pokimane revealed that Instagram took down the summer photo as its caption went against its community guidelines. According to Instagram, the photo’s caption about being a “sugar momma” was a big issue as it went against its “adult sexual solicitation guidelines.” In a screenshot, Pokimane revealed that the platform told her they “don’t allow people to facilitate, encourage or coordinate sexual activity on Instagram.” It went on to list several examples such as filming sexual activities or asking for nude images. In any case, Pokimane was not happy with the call. A fellow streamer even suggested that users had mass-reported the picture to get it taken down, to which Pokimane responded by saying that giving people money “ain’t gotta be sexual!” We’ll have to wait and see if Instagram allows the picture and caption to be back up, but for now, Pokimane may want to think twice about how she words her photos at the risk of being potentially banned in the future.

  • Poker pro accused of cheating with see-through deck & special lenses to win $3M – Dexerto

Poker pro accused of cheating with see-through deck & special lenses to win $3M X/HCLPokerShowA poker pro named Yen ‘Mars’ Shen has been accused of cheating to win over $3M by using a special see-through deck to see what cards players are holding. Just when you thought chess had become the new hotbed for cheating allegations, poker has come storming back with new allegations that a player has been using nefarious methods to win millions. ‘Wes Side’ Wesley and Nik Airball, two regulars at Hustler Casino Live, spoke to PokerNews after discovering their friend, a player named Mars, had allegedly been cheating at a private game in Southern California. According to Wesley, Mars brought his own special deck to the game that allowed him to see cards, along with a dealer, and two other players with him. Poker player allegedly cheated by using see-through deck PokerNews reports that Mars last played at the game back in October, and Wesley had lost a whopping $1M in the game while Mars and his crew are up $3.1 million. “After a game we found a cheating deck. The deck is a very good cheating deck that you can’t find. But we went to a very dark room and we used a blue light and then you can see the numbers on the back of the deck,” Wesley explained. Nik Airball added to the allegations in a post on X/Twitter, claiming that Mars brought a mechanic dealer to the poker games in addition to the deck. In text messages from October 14, Mars said that he would bring some decks, but has repeatedly denied cheating when confronted. “Maybe you’re losing and you don’t want to pay so you’re changing the deck,” Wesley recalled Mars’ response when the evidence was presented. “If we are cheating, how can we lose?” However, Wesley says this special deck can’t be purchased at a store and Mars was deliberately cheating during the private games. “It’s a new deck, and Mars admits this deck is never our game’s deck. It’s a special deck and he admitted the deck has a problem, but he don’t know who brings the deck. The text message showed, ‘I can bring the deck to you.’” So far, Mars has yet to respond to the allegations, but this is hardly the first poker scandal to blow up. Last year, Robbi Jade Lew was accused of cheating by Garrett Adelstein after a bizarre hand in which she won a monster pot with just Jack high.

  • Poker staffer fired as Robbi Jade Lew cheating investigation ramps up – Dexerto

Poker staffer fired as Robbi Jade Lew cheating investigation ramps up YouTube/HustlerCasinoLiveThe investigation into a controversial poker hand between Robbi Jade Lew and Garrett Adelstein has resulted in an employee for High Stakes Poker Productions being fired from his position. The poker world was shellshocked in late September when cheating allegations were made in a bizarre $269 hand that saw Robbi Jade Lew make a hero call with just Jack high. Garrett, who was looking for a club, 6, or Jack on the river to him up a straight, a flush, or even a straight flush, was perplexed at Robbi’s call, which made no sense to him and many others. While Robbi gave back the money, the allegations of cheating have continued to loom over the poker world with the female player even challenging Garrett to play heads-up. On Thursday, Hustler Casino tweeted an update on the ongoing investigation as the controversy surrounding the poker hand gained mainstream attention. Investigation finds employee stole Robbi Jade Lew poker chips In the message, it was revealed that High Stakes Poker Productions had assembled a team of “experts” to investigate the hand and look into their security protocols and technology. They say the investigation will also aim to see if any evidence exists of players using technology to cheat in streamed games and how secure their protocols are. High Stakes Poker Productions also said that it plans to be transparent with its findings, revealing that some shady activities took place after the broadcast had ended. According to the report, while reviewing video footage, investigators spotted Bryan Sagbigsal, an employee of HSPP, taking $15,000 worth of chips from Robbi Jade Lew’s stack. Sagbigsal admitted to this and was subsequently fired and the Gardena Police were contacted. However, Lew does not wish to press charges so there will not be a criminal prosecution. Hustler Casino offered to reimburse Robbi for the stolen funds. In any case, the investigation is still ongoing and it remains to be seen if there really were any cases of cheating live on stream. Poker isn’t the only “sport” to have a cheating scandal lately. In the world of chess, Hans Niemann was accused of cheating after defeating the world’s top player, Magnus Carlsen. The allegations have resulted in all sorts of wild theories such as the use of an adult toy to receive signals about which moves to make against his opponents.

Poker caster hilariously tricks 1000 viewers into closing the stream Poker commentator Joe Stapleton pulled off an incredible prank on 1000 viewers during a tournament on January 15. Stapleton is currently casting at the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure tournament, and managed to trick users during the fourth day of the competition. The prank is a well known one amongst experienced internet users, but the commentator managed to deceive a large number of those watching the event to close their browser. While casting over a match featuring player Brian Altman, Stapleton told viewers that if they were a fan of the American, they should show their support “by using the special Brian Altman emote on Twitch” by pressing the Alt and F4 keys on their keyboard. When the Alt and F4 keys are pressed together, it actually closes the window, with the stream immediately dropping by 1000 viewers. Stapleton couldn’t believe how many fell for it, laughing and saying “That can’t be true, we’ll never get them back!” While many would apologise and try not cost their stream any more viewers, Stapleton took a different approach, attempting to bait those watching into doing it again. “Earlier, I told everybody in Twitch chat that if they want to use the special Brian Altman emote they need to press Alt and F4, and we lost 1000 viewers. Guys, the emote offends a lot of people, it’s really gnarly – so don’t hit Alt and F4 for the emote.” The Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure tournament is heading into its final day, with a $10,300 main event scheduled for the last broadcast.
