PewDiePie’s lead over T-Series is almost gone and the internet is out of ideas PewDiePie / YouTubePewDiePie’s now only holds a very slender lead in YouTube subscribers over Indian record label and production company T-Series, and it looks like his time at the top may finally be over. In the latter months of 2018, the threat of T-Series taking PewDiePie‘s spot at the top, which he has held for over five years, began looming, and it seemed unlikely the Swedish YouTuber would be able to stay number one by the end of the year. With the help of just about the entire YouTube community and the internet at large, PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, has managed to hold out much longer than estimates predicted. Originally, tracking website SocialBlade estimated PewDiePie would be overtaken in early December, but the movement to keep him at number one was effective, and has allowed him to hold out until February. From December 1 – February 1, PewDiePie gained 10.58 million subscribers, a record breaking gain in only two months, but despite this support, T-Series has managed to stay right on his tail. As of 7am on February 9, T-Series is only around 40,000 subscribers short of PewDiePie, and with seemingly all ideas exhausted, it may finally be time for the Swede to admit defeat. The battle is nearly lost:sob::sob: #SUBSCRIBETOPEWDIEPIE #pewdiepie pic.twitter.com/kWzQPerHr7 — Jayd (@Jayd74668924) February 9, 2019 The Super Bowl was the last big push, which saw YouTuber Mr Beast – who has been PewDiePie’s corner throughout – manage to sneak in a ‘Sub 2 PewDiePie’ message behind the goal. Stephen Gostkowski misses the 46-yard FG! pic.twitter.com/jEUct0ObCr — ESPN (@espn) February 3, 2019 Mr Beast himself explained that the original plan was actually to raise money to run a commercial, but said that because there was no guarantee that the TV network would accept the proposal, settled for the T-Shirt idea instead. My plan was to sell sub to pewdiepie shirts and use the money to buy the commercial (like a 10 second one) but once I started setting the plan into motion I learned that the network might deny the ad and I got scared I’d raise lots of money and get stuck with it. https://t.co/FhxzusXAZ9 — MrBeast (@MrBeastYT) February 4, 2019 Countless YouTubers and influencers have support PewDiePie’s attempts to stay on top, from Logan Paul to Jordan B. Peterson, but the ideas are now running thin. T-Series is so incredibly popular in India, that with a population of over 1.1 billion, it really is almost inevitable that they will eventually overtake the one man army of PewDiePie. While Kjellberg posts a video daily, T-Series publish five or more, professionally produced, high budget videos – so it seems like fighting a losing battle. SocialBlade’s current estimates suggest that PewDiePie has only two days left at the top, and that T-Series will overtake him by February 11.

PewDiePie’s emergency Fortnite stream prevents T-Series takeover – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s emergency Fortnite stream prevents T-Series takeover PewDiePie, YouTube / Epic GamesYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is taking what could be his last stand against Bollywood label T-Series in a dramatic way – by playing Fortnite. PewDiePie went live on February 3, just as his subscriber count went neck-and-neck with T-Series in a last-ditch effort to defeat his Bollywood nemesis. His game of choice? Fortnite – which he previously admitted might help him overtake the label, due to its overwhelming popularity. So far, his plan appears to be working; PewDiePie managed to soar nearly 90,000 subs above his enemy within the first hour of streaming – a massive jump, considering that the two were just over 50,000 subscribers apart at the beginning of his stream, and merely 29k apart before news of their proximity made the rounds. PewDiePie is also set to appear in a commercial during the 2019 Super Bowl, thanks to popular YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson. This isn’t the first time MrBeast has pulled out all the stops for PewDiePie, either; the YouTuber likewise created a citywide ad-campaign in October of 2018 during a similar situation, bumping Pewd’s subscriber count over 36,000 within the first hour of his video going live. In fact, Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem likewise went live in an attempt to help the Swede, managing to send a reported 23k subscribers his way before Pewds began his Fortnite debut. PewDiePie’s war against T-Series began in late 2018, with the label projected to surpass the YouTuber by early 2019. Thanks to the efforts of multiple YouTubers, internet personalities, and even celebrities, it looks like Pewds may be able to stave off T-Series’ takeover for a little while longer. UPDATE: PewDiePie has reached 83 million subscribers following his Fortnite stream – although T-Series remains close behind.

PewDiePie’s fans request Belle Delphine inspired bathwater on Instagram – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s fans request Belle Delphine inspired bathwater on Instagram YouTube: PewDiePie / Instagram: Belle DelphineTop YouTuber PewDiePie has returned from a well-earned break on his honeymoon, and will soon be back to be uploading to his channel, but his latest Instagram post has sparked a new demand from fans – Belle Delphine-inspired bathwater. If unfamiliar, Belle Delphine is a now-former Instagram star and popular YouTuber herself, who made headlines earlier in 2019 for selling her used ‘Gamer Girl bathwater’ for $30 a tub. She was later banned from Instagram, and PewDiePie’s latest post on the photo-sharing social media has drawn comparisons, as he is seen lounging in a bath on his honeymoon. On returning from his trip, he posted an image showing him covered in petals and relaxing in a hot bath, and the comments are filled with jokes about packaging the water and selling it on for a price. Even YouTuber James Charles joined in, commenting “Belle Delphine is shaking”, while others asked, “How much for that bathwater Felix?” and ”Let me [buy] some bathwater please [I don’t care] if it costs extra with some of those flowers in it.” 600Of course, as the number one YouTuber in the world, PewDiePie needs neither the money or attention that selling his own bathwater would bring, although Delphine’s enterprise did well, apparently selling 500 containers at $30 a pop. She even went as far to sell an entire bathtub full, for a whopping $10,000. He covered the Belle Delphine story on his channel in July, and just before leaving for his honeymoon, poked fun at her again telling an evil woman in a horror game to “take your bath water and go away!” Belle Delphine is still banned from Instagram, and given the length of her suspension so far it appears to be permanent. Hopefully, PewDiePie’s profile doesn’t meet the same fate after his own bathtub photos.

PewDiePie’s editor explains why the YouTube king will never quit – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s editor explains why the YouTube king will never quit YouTube: PewDiePieIn the wake of PewDiePie taking his break from making content, the Swedish star’s editor has opened up about why the YouTuber won’t ever be quitting due to being “addicted” to the platform. PewDiePie is the most popular content creator on YouTube, having amassed over 102 million subscribers, and was the most watched channel on the platform in 2019. However, the Swede finally took a break from making content on January 15, after making daily uploads for 10 years. Despite this, his editor claims that the YouTuber won’t be quitting or slowing down once he’s back. PewDiePie’s editor says he won’t be slowing down The popular YouTuber first announced he was taking a break on December 14, stating that he was “tired,” and finally took his vacation on January 15. “This year, there’s just been so much piling up that I’m like ‘I should probably just cool down for a bit.’ And then, we’ll come back with 10,000 percent!” he said. Confirming the Swede’s reason for not making content in part of 2020, PewDiePie’s editor Sive Morten sat down with British news outlet Metro and explained, “‘Everyone needs a break but, with YouTube, having a break is sort of detrimental to your channel. I think it’s worth it for him…and I need a break too!’” He then went on to state that the YouTube star loves what he does. “He’s unironically addicted to making YouTube videos. The whole thing about “Hey, I enjoy making videos”, he really does enjoy it,” he said. Sive also commented on Pewds’ consistent work ethic, and was surprised when he didn’t take a break for his honeymoon, after getting married to Marzia in August 2019. “I was expecting him to say “Hey, I’m going to pre-record a hundred videos,’” he said. The editor then revealed that he doesn’t see his boss ever quitting the platform. “I don’t think he is ever gonna quit, I think he’s really addicted. He can’t get enough of YouTube”. He also pointed out that “Most YouTubers, once they get views, once they get relevance, they kind of go crazy. A lot of YouTubers kind of go mad” – which is a good argument for the popular entertainer to take a break. PewDiePie couldn’t have picked a better time to take his much-deserved vacation, given that in 2019 he reached 102 million subscribers, and launched his wildly successful Minecraft series. It’s still unknown how long the break will be for and when the Swedish star will be back to making content again, however given his professed love for the platform, it will probably be sooner rather than later.

PewDiePie speaks out on YouTube’s response to pedophilic content – Dexerto
PewDiePie speaks out on YouTube’s response to pedophilic content The king of YouTube, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, gave a shocking reaction to the controversial practices the video streaming site is taking to combat pedophelic content. YouTube’s widespread initiative to prevent videos that may endanger minors has caught some smaller content creators in the crossfire by inadvertently terminating channels or demonetizing videos that have nothing to do with pedophilic content. PewDiePie broke down the controversy and added his take saying that, although it’s unfortunate that some channels are being wrongfully targeted, he appreciates YouTube taking decisive action against a larger problem. YouTube is now officially demonetizing videos if the COMMENTS SECTION contains inappropriate content. Ahaha this is the beginning of the end. How easy it is now to wreck a YouTuber’s career, just leave insults on their videos and THEY get punished for it! https://t.co/BpexlNjz6K — Dan Bull :pear: (@itsDanBull) February 22, 2019 PewDiePie left little room for interpretation when addressing YouTube’s questionable stance of demonetizing videos or limiting its ads because of the comments that are attached to the piece of content. “They’re not setting a precedent by removing comments or demonetizing the videos,” PewDiePie said. “It’s not something that’s gonna affect everyone on the site. It’s clearly something they’ve done just to act swiftly at a time when it’s necessary. And to be honest, I appreciate YouTube’s done that. So before anyone freaks out and says YouTube is over: no it isn’t, calm down, they’re working on it. And I trust that they are, actually.” (Timestamp at 7:29 for mobile viewers) Although PewDiePie calls YouTube’s position on demonetizing videos with inappropriate comments “crazy,” he says that it makes sense for the site to take this approach in this sensitive time. “I think for the first time in a long time, I’m on the side of YouTube. This is obviously a swift and short-term solution… YouTube obviously [needed] to act quickly,” PewDiePie said. While some smaller channels on the platform have encountered multiple instances of wrongful actions taken against their channels, PewDiePie thinks it’s just a rough first stage in YouTube’s battle against the harmful content.

PewDiePie’s beloved Minecraft horse meets a brutal end and it’s actually pretty sad – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s beloved Minecraft horse meets a brutal end and it’s actually pretty sad Instagram: PewDiePie / MojangFelix ‘Minecraft has taken the internet by storm, but the latest episode of his amazing adventure saw him wave a devastating farewell to his beloved horse, Joergen #2. The YouTube star has fallen in love with the open world sandbox game, which lets players build, explore and fight creatures however they would like, with the only significant aim in the game being survival. Not only has Pewds become obsessed with the game’s mechanics and features, he’s also become enamoured by the animals found in the game, capturing horses like Joergen #1 and #2, Sven the dog, and “Water Sheep,” a stray beast which got stuck in some water and lived their until it’s demise. As you can guess, Joergen #2 was the replacement for the original Joergen, who perished when his head got stuck in an obsidian block after travelling back from the Nether, suffocating in the portal and dying. Unfortunately, Joergen #2 suffered a similar cruel fate, although this time, the Swede will have to take some of the responsibility for the passing of his equestrian ally. Earlier in the video, released on July 24, PewDiePie almost killed the horse with a door that allowed him to exit his pen, closing it early and trapping him inside until he managed to rescue it. Later on, the 29-year-old managed to get Joergen #2 into a cart, and sent him down into his mine using a railway system he had built. Tragedy struck once again though, as the roof wasn’t high enough for joergen, who started glitching through the blocks and met his untimely end. By the time PewDiePie finally reached the minecart, all that was left of Joergen #2 was his saddle, with the screen fading to black as the Swede tried to process the horrors he had just witnessed. We don’t know how PewDiePie will honor the memory of his fallen comrade, but seeing as he built a massive temple to celebrate the life of Water Sheep, we can only imagine what crazy idea he will have in store for his next episode.

YouTube reveals PewDiePie’s 100 million subscriber Red Diamond Creator Award – Dexerto
YouTube reveals PewDiePie’s 100 million subscriber Red Diamond Creator Award YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube has created a brand new award to honor the King of YouTube himself, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg for passing the 100M subscriber count, alongside T-Series. Previously, the highest award a YouTuber could earn was the Custom Play Button given to YouTubers who amassed 50 million subscribers. PewDiePie himself was the first to reach that milestone on December 18, 2016. Five others would go on to reach that plateau including T-Series and 5-Minute Crafts. 600Now, YouTube has unveiled a new Red Diamond Creator Award. “The 100M subscriber record has been surpassed, and that means we have the new creator award! Introducing: The Red Diamond Creator Award, named after one of the rarest colors of diamond,” the company tweeted on September 6. The 100M subscriber record has been surpassed, and that means we have the new creator award! Introducing: The Red Diamond Creator Award, named after one of the rarest colors of diamond. @TSeries and @Pewdiepie, check the mail! :smirk: pic.twitter.com/ZONYFEiVkk — YouTube (@YouTube) September 6, 2019 It was confirmed that both PewDiePie and T-Series would both be sent the Red Diamond. The tweet included a video showing the pristine award being forged and it looks absolutely beautiful. The Pewds broke 100 million subs on August 24 and was the first individual creator to do so. Some of his channel’s growth was the result of the Swede’s ‘PewDiePie vs. T-Series’ feud that saw the YouTube community rally behind Felix against the Indian owned corporation. This culminated in the creation of the video “bitch lasagna” in which PewDiePie dissed T-Series, before later apologizing for the joke and calling off the feud. Despite losing the war and T-Series reaching 100 million first, PewDiePie returned to his gaming roots and uploaded daily Minecraft videos resulting in a surge of additional subscribers. It’s been quite a journey for the 29-year-old internet phenomenon who first started on YouTube back in 2006 and officially launched his second account as PewDiePie in 2010. One has to wonder what YouTube to honor the first creator to hit 150 million. Until then, the Red Diamond Creator Award will be the most prestigious and is likely to remain that way for some time.

PewDiePie explains why YouTube’s trending section is rigged – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why YouTube’s trending section is rigged Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s fight for YouTube subscriber supremacy may be all but over, but the hugely popular creator is now turning his attention to addressing some of the problems with the site. The YouTube trending page has always been a delicate issue on the platform, with both creators and viewers left confused by how it is supposed to work. It flared up again as a hot topic on May 2, as YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was caught ‘promising’ rap artist Juice WRLD that the company was going to help his growth on the platform. While some interpreted this as a sort of free hand out of subscribers and a change to the algorithm, PewDiePie isn’t joining that theory, labeling it as “CEO-talk.” How does YouTube Trending work? However, the clip did spark a bigger conversation from the Swede, in his most recent ‘PewNews’ video, addressing Wojcicki’s promises from April that the platform was working to better support creators – with Pewds zeroing in on the trending page and revealing why it doesn’t really work as intended. “She also talks about the trending tab [in her promises], and they’re saying that they are gonna work on having it half creators and/or at least half will be actual creators on the trending tab,” started Pewds. “So, the trending was rigged all along! I knew it”, he added jokingly. Despite his humor, the Swede did get pretty serious and broke things down eloquently – explaining that the trending page doesn’t promote all highly viewed videos because it uses a channel’s history of views to determine whether or not the upload in question is worthy of a wider promotion. [Timestamp of 8:18 for mobile viewers] Will YouTube make a change? Pewds also added that he thinks channels, like music and movie companies, which don’t upload frequently and then have a hit, benefit from trending page more than creators who “work on YouTube and care about YouTube” because of how the current system works. While Wojcicki may have promised changes to the platform in order to better serve those creators who make a living from the platform, it remains to be seen as to what adjustments are made in the coming months.

PewDiePie would love to see more Minecraft crossovers – Dexerto
PewDiePie would love to see more Minecraft crossovers In his August 10 video, YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg called for more Minecraft crossovers, and revealed the one he would like to see the most. PewDiePie took a break from his Minecraft series to upload one of his ‘You Laugh You Lose’ videos on August 10. While the Swedish YouTuber tackled various memes, many of the submissions were Minecraft focused. One of the segments got the YouTube star thinking about crossovers with the sandbox game, and which one he would like to see happen the most. PewDiePie calls for more Minecraft crossovers Pewds prefaced the discussion by saying that he isn’t usually a fan of crossovers due to them often being corporate marketing. However, he argued “anything” would combine well with Minecraft. Read More: Mr Beast shows chaotic by “destroying” cars – “Usually I cringe at all these corporate crossovers, but please start combining Minecraft with stuff. I would love to see that happen. You can combine Minecraft with anything. It’s still going to be 10/10,” he said. The Swede said he would like to see Marvel do a crossover with Minecraft. Considering they are one of the largest franchises in the world, it’s probably a safe bet that it would do extremely well. “Oh my god, can you imagine, Avengers Minecraft edition?” Pewds said. Although specifically, he seemed the most excited about the idea of a Spider-Man crossover. (Timestamp of 00:51 for mobile viewers.) Minecraft has had crossovers before Minecraft ‘Nintendo Switch Edition’ was released in May 2017, and included ‘The Super Mario Mashup pack’ which featured Mario-themed skins that helped transform the game into the popular Nintendo franchise. Other major titles have also been featured before as skin packs, such as the hit Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’, and the massively popular role-playing game ‘Skyrim’. It’s actually kind of shocking that Marvel that hasn’t done a crossover with Minecraft – yet. PewDiePie’s video shows us how many things actually do go well with Minecraft. If nothing else, it also gets us thinking about which crossover we would love to see most in the popular sandbox game.

PewDiePie’s YouTube diss tracks blocked in India following T-Series court order – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s YouTube diss tracks blocked in India following T-Series court order PewDiePie / YouTubeThe ongoing YouTube battle between PewDiePie and T-Series is now becoming a legal battle too, as diss track videos ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Bitch Lasagna’ have been blocked in India, after T-Series filed a take down order. It was reported on April 10 that T-Series had filed a court order, ruling that PewDiePie must “remove and disable access” to the songs in question – those songs being the two diss tracks directed at T-Series. The latest, ‘Congratulations’ was particularly brutal in its remarks about T-Series, even alleging illegal activity, and currently has over 70 million views, less than a week after being uploaded. PewDiePie’s T-Series diss tracks now blocked in India Although many thought that there would be no legal precedent for such a move, PewDiePie’s editor, Sive, posted on Twitter on April 11 that indeed the videos – both Congratulations and Bitch Lasagna -were unavailable in India and that comments had been disabled. The videos still appear to be available as normal in other countries, but now simply show up as ‘This video is not available’ when accessing them from India. 500Why are T-Series trying to block PewDiePie’s videos in India? The battle for YouTube supremacy has been ongoing between Swedish video-maker Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and T-Series since late 2018, as the two channels compete to have the highest subscriber count. The Swede has held this position for the better part of eight years, and although T-Series has taken over him briefly, he still holds a commanding lead as both channels head for 100 million subs. PewDiePie’s ‘Congratulations’ song was actually congratulating T-Series for having overtaken him, but ironically, the video and song’s immediate popularity sent Pewds back in front – by over 300,000 subs. If the reports that these take downs are in fact the doing of T-Series’ legal action, then it shows that they are taking the contest more seriously than some might have believed. They have previously stated that beating PewDiePie would in some sense bring national pride to the country, and clearly don’t take kindly to the comments he made about them in his diss tracks.

PewDiePie wins hilarious bet against Dr Disrespect in Fall Guys showdown – Dexerto
PewDiePie wins hilarious bet against Dr Disrespect in Fall Guys showdown YouTube: Dr Disrespect[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]Popular streamer Dr Disrespect was hilariously forced into a bet by Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg after losing to the Swede in their Fall Guys showdown broadcast on August 14. Dr Disrespect made his return to streaming on August 7 with a broadcast that pulled in over 520k viewers. The Two-Time Champion made his comeback on YouTube in a massive way. To celebrate his new home, the star collaborated with the platform’s biggest individual content creator PewDiePie for an epic showdown in the party battle royale Fall Guys. PewDiePie defends his YouTube crown against Dr Disrespect To finish out his first full week on YouTube, Dr Disrespect challenged PewDiePie to a showdown in Fall Guys. Combined, the two stars brought in over 340k viewers who tuned in to watch them duke it out in the battle royale. While Doc got off to a rocky start in their best of five contests, the streamer became neck and neck with the Swedish creator. However, his attempt to troll Pewds by grabbing onto him backfired which resulted in him getting eliminated. The Two-Time hilariously jumped up and yelled after his aggressive move didn’t pan out the way he intended. “No! No! Noooo!” he screamed. PewDiePie jokingly asked “What happened?” after he won the round. While being down at the half way point, Doc addressed his fans in an epic locker room speech. “How are we losing, Champions Club? Huh? To this guy all the way in Sweden who drives in a Volvo and takes him seven hours to go to the liquor store?” Pewds ended up coming out victorious in the end, narrowly beating the 38-year-old 5–3 in the final round. To punish the popular streamer, the Swede made him watch his most disliked video on his channel. In 2016, Kjellberg went viral when he asked his fans to push him to a million dislikes. Watching the video, Dr Disrespect joked, “I am so glad we joined YouTube!” Laughing, the YouTuber replied, “Right? This is what is ahead of you! If you need any tips, I got you.” Despite winning, PewDiePie congratulated his friend on his return to streaming and said that he was “excited” for him to be on YouTube. Dr Disrespect then suggested they do an IRL stream together in the future, which the 30-year-old agreed to. The two gaming giants pulled off an entertaining show that brought both of their massive audiences together. The stream even saw the Two-Time having to learn about the Floor Gang meme. Whenever the personalties decide to collaborate again, it’s sure to be a must-watch event.

PewDiePie wins the race to 70 million YouTube subscribers ahead of T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie wins the race to 70 million YouTube subscribers ahead of T-Series PewDiePie was previously estimated to hit 70 million subscribers on December 11, but has beaten that projection by a month, as he hits the massive milestone ahead of T-Series. PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjelberg has been the number one independent channel on the video sharing website for over six years, but earlier in 2018 people began to notice an Indian channel called ‘T-Series’ was creeping up on him. The Indian channel, a record label and production company, was pumping out professional quality videos multiple times daily, and with India’s population and internet presence, was growing rapidly. In fact, the channel was gaining subscribers so fast that some even suggested that new YouTube accounts made in India were being automatically subscribed to T-Series. Regardless, PewDiePie began an all out war in what would likely be a vain attempt to retain the top spot, but so far, it has been working out for him. PewDiePie shared the news of his groundbreaking milestone on Twitter, stating his next goal is to hit the big 100 million. 100 mil next lol, this is craaazyy pic.twitter.com/LO2q5Yggv8 — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) November 10, 2018 Social Blade, a stat tracking website for the internet’s biggest stars, predicted on November 1, that PewDiePie would hit 70 million subscribers by December 11, while T-Series was expected to hit the same figure on November 14. However, on November 10, PewDiePie hit 70 million, spoiling Social Blade’s projection by over a month – while T-Series languished behind at 69.4 million at the same point. There are a number of reasons which could have contributed to this, including fellow YouTuber Mr Beast’s city wide advertising campaign, encouraging people to subscribe to PewDiePie. Gaining over 100,000 subscribers per day, the Swede is estimated to hit 71 million by December 10, meanwhile T-Series continues to also gain over 100,000 per day. Social Blade still predicts that T-Series will overtake PewDiePie sometime in November 2018, but PewDiePie can perhaps keep this momentum going the longer the race continues. You can keep up with the race for YouTube’s top spot with the real time subscriber counts here.

PewDiePie mocks ProJared following accusations of cheating and sexually soliciting fans – Dexerto
PewDiePie mocks ProJared following accusations of cheating and sexually soliciting fans YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has given his thoughts on the ProJared situation, after his fellow YouTuber was accused of infidelity and sexually soliciting fans. The accusations against Jared surfaced after his wife, Heidi O’Ferrall, posted a series of tweets in which she denounced her husband for infidelity. O’Ferrall documented ProJared’s alleged illicit interactions with some fans, which included – and was not limited to – receiving and sending nude images via a SnapChat account and Tumblr page, even some from minors. The Tumblr page had originally been created to be a “body-positive space for consenting adults,” according to O’Ferrall. Since then, one fan has spoken up claiming to have been underage when she shared the photos. Now though, the King of YouTube has given his thoughts, in a video simply entitled ‘Projared is a Gamer’. PewDiePie first reacted to the news on stream, stating that “there is nothing funny about a man ruining his marriage”. He also said that he doesn’t understand why anyone would exchange nudes with their fans, before saying that the memes are really funny. He made these into a typical ‘Meme Review’ video, starting with a parody acronym on screen, mocking Jared’s infidelity. “It devastated me, it shook me to my core; ProJared cheated on his wife. What the frick dude?” This sarcastic attitude just about sets the tone for his video, as he goes on to explain that “what’s important, is the memes”. The memes involve Jared offering a final rating of “a broken marriage out of 10” in a past game review, before Kjellberg analyzes Jared’s YouTube channel, which lost over 100,000 subscribers in just one day. Despite previously hitting the 1,000,000 subscriber mark, this incredible loss has caused his total sub count to fall to under 850,000. PewDiePie goes on to explain that he did actually watch ProJared’s YouTube channel “back in the day”, and thinks that his videos “aren’t bad”. The video then takes a turn away from Jared, as PewDiePie analyzes parody Sonic the Hedgehog reskins, after his own attempt at a redesign received a £10 million bid on eBay. ProJared has also been dropped by his partner network NormalBoots, who had been investigating prior allegations about the YouTuber as early as April 4. At the time of writing, Jared has not responded to any of the allegations he is facing.

PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja vs Jacksepticeye YouTube subscriber battle – Dexerto
PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja vs Jacksepticeye YouTube subscriber battle Youtube/Jacksepticeye/Twitter/NinjaThe world’s biggest YouTuber, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has given his thoughts on the subscriber ‘battle’ between Twitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and YouTube heavyweight Sean ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin. Since the release of Fortnite in July 2017, and the global interest in Epic Games‘ free-to-play battle royale mode, Ninja has seen his social following grow exponentially, to the point where he was the most subscribed to Twitch streamer ever, with an incredible 269,000 subscribers. According to statistics provided by social media monitoring site SocialBlade, in August 2016 Ninja acquired 432 new YouTube subscribers, compared to the 3.48 million he acquired over March 2018. The rapid growth of Ninja’s YouTube channel contrasts to that of Jackspeticeye, who has been a staple name on the online video platform for upwards of 10 years, uploading over 4,000 videos since his channel was created in 2007. Ninja had been closing in on Jacksepticeye’s sub-count for a while, and it appears he’s finally overtaken the Irish gamer. As of 3:00pm GMT on March 10, Ninja sits at 21,681,190, while Jacksepticeye sits at 21,676,373, putting the Fortnite superstar at about 5,000 subs ahead. This prompted PewDiePie to tweet a response, asking “How can this be? That’s impossible”, with a screenshot of the two content creators’ subscriber counts on top of a ‘meme’ of Spiderman crying. It’s possible that PewDiePie is genuinely surprised by Ninja’s incredible growth, or it could be that the whole thing is something of a parody of PewDiePie’s own, very public subscriber battle with Bollywood label T-Series. Jacksepticeye responded humorously, stating that he’s “on my way to the ranch”, in reference to an in-joke between PewDiePie and his subscribers, regarding the popular American talk show ‘Dr. Phil’ – where troublesome children are sent to ‘the ranch’. Despite being overtaken by Ninja, it is unlikely Jacksepticeye is unhappy with his subscriber count, given that he remains the 70th most subscribed to YouTube account in the world. He is undoubtedly an incredibly popular internet personality, with Twitter users responding to Ninja’s overtake with “feelsbadman” and “how did we allow this to happen”. Are there any more twists to come in the second most interesting subscriber battle on YouTube at the moment?

PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja’s infamous “it’s just a game” tweet – Dexerto
PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja’s infamous “it’s just a game” tweet YouTube: PewDiePie/Mixer: NinjaYouTube King Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has weighed in on Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins’ controversial ‘losing mentality’ tweet, as he returned from a month-long internet hiatus. On February 18, popular Mixer streamer Ninja nearly broke the internet with a tweet about his visceral attitude to gaming, particularly relating to how he reacts after losing. “When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice,” he said. In the immediate aftermath, all corners of the internet gave their take. From KSI to Lil Nas X, everyone had an opinion on Ninja’s divisive tweet. Some agreed with him, arguing that a mentality like that is the only way to be truly successful. Others were more skeptical and argued that video games shouldn’t be taken that seriously. The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle. — Ninja (@Ninja) February 18, 2020 One notable opinion was absent though; that of PewDiePie, who was in the midst of a month-long hiatus from all things internet. He returned on February 21 with a signature meme video, in which he broke his silence on Ninja’s widely-discussed tweet. In his video, Pewds decided it was finally time to comment on Ninja’s “hot takes” – and he did so in just the way you’d expect; with memes. (Timestamp for mobile users: 6:45) The Swede found some funny responses to Ninja’s tweet, including one about the game ‘Nintendogs’. In a similar rant on his channel, Ninja asked: “Can you imagine telling LeBron James, Tom Brady [that it’s just a game]?” PewDiePie mocked this attitude by sharing a comparison to LeBron James, the NBA legend who has in the past described basketball as a game, even after losing a tough series in the playoffs. He then watched another version of Ninja’s words, chuckling to himself and describing it as “so good”. Given PewDiePie’s humorous nature and the format in which his response occurred, we wouldn’t read too much into his memeing of Ninja. He certainly didn’t feel as strongly about it as some others, as the debate surrounding the tweet continues. At the time of writing, it has over 22,000 replies.

PewDiePie has “a lot of problems” with James Charles and Tati YouTube drama – Dexerto
PewDiePie has “a lot of problems” with James Charles and Tati YouTube drama YouTube: PewDiePie/Instagram: James CharlesYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has shared some of his thoughts on the YouTube drama between James Charles and Tati Westbrook, which caused the make-up artist to lose 1 million YouTube subscribers. The fracas between James Charles and his former friend Tati Westbrook started after Charles promoted a rival vitamin brand to Westbrook’s on his Instagram story. This prompted Westbrook to upload a video entitled ‘Bye Sister’, in which she effectively ended the twos’ long-term friendship. Since then, Charles has lost over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers and, on May 10, released a video named ‘tati’ to his YouTube channel, in which he apologises for the disagreement. Now though, the second most subscribed to YouTuber in the world has shared some of his thoughts. Kjellberg started off by joking that he had set his Twitter to only show him Arabic trends to avoid news, but he was still being shown news relating to the James Charles drama. He then went to reply to his own tweet, stating that he’s “got a lot of problems with this Tati video”. It’s not entirely clear whether he is referring to Westbrook’s original video or Charles’ response, which was simply titled ‘tati’. I got a lot of problems with this Tati video, am I the only one? :face_with_cowboy_hat: — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) May 11, 2019 This tweet caused a fan to respond, asking: “Who cares? Youtube is 99% degenerates. I’m ok watching them all eat each other”. Pewds didn’t seem offended by the generalisation, even responding to the tweet by saying that it “was probably the only fair point I’ve seen to it all play out lol”. This is probably the only fair point I’ve seen to it all play out lol — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) May 11, 2019 Since Westbrook’s video was released, it has amassed over 12 million views and 1.5 million likes. Charles’ video on the other hand, at the time of writing, has hit 8.5 million views in just sixteen hours. However, that video stands at just under 1 million dislikes, as the YouTube community voices its disapproval with the make-up and beauty star. Despite Charles’ apology, it appears that there this saga is not close to its conclusion, given the size of the stars involved. Also, with the likes of PewDiePie getting involved, there appears to be more talking points to come.

PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja’s Fortnite ban scandal – Dexerto
PewDiePie weighs in on Ninja’s Fortnite ban scandal A recent video from PewDiePie saw the number one YouTuber give his thoughts on the Ninja controversy related to ban reporting in Fortnite. Ninja incorrectly reported someone in Fortnite for stream sniping and said he would go out of his way to insure the player got banned. Epic found nothing wrong and did not ban the player. A second incident appeared that showed someone being banned based on a Ninja report for only having a high ping, but this turned out to be a hoax. During his PewNews segment, PewDiePie mocked Ninja for how he handled the initial incident, but also defended him at times. “I think the hypocrisy here is that if anyone else but Ninja did that, no one would care,” said PewDiePie. He compared his own controversies with Ninja’s, saying they are amplified because of their positions, with PewDiePie being the face of YouTube and Ninja being the face of Fortnite. Ninja was not blameless in the ban controversy according to PewDiePie, who claimed that Ninja acted like he had the ability to ban whoever he wanted. “[Ninja] did say it in a way that he had that power [to ban someone] … ‘I have this power that I can use because I’m Ninja.’” In the end, PewDiePie believes the real reason Ninja faced so much blow-back on social media was due to his handling of the apology and not necessarily his actions. “[Ninja] is practically doing what a lot of streamers do, that doesn’t make it ok, but he could have just explained this calm and rationally instead of getting pissed off about it and nobody would have cared.” PewDiePie’s full thoughts on Ninja’s Fortnite behavior can be found in the video below.

PewDiePie vs T-Series YouTube war not over yet as lead grows once more – Dexerto
PewDiePie vs T-Series YouTube war not over yet as lead grows once more YouTube: PewDiePie/T-SeriesElon Musk appeared on Meme Review to do his bit, fans held their own parades and even professional cheerleading squads got involved. Pewds did, briefly, lose his grip on the YouTube crown after a purge in YouTube accounts handed T-Series the lead for a few minutes. However, it looks like his fans are still doing all they can to keep him on top after coming close to falling behind. On March 4, PewDiePie’s lead had once again dipped below the 10,000 mark – standing at less than 6,000 with the gap shrinking at an alarming rate. However, the Swede has remarkably regained and bumped his lead back up over the 10,000 mark – closing in on 11,000 at the time of writing. Pewds has held off recent similarly huge pushes from T-Series’s side. However, he seemingly threw in the towel on March 2 as the gap between him and his rival dipped under 6,000 subscribers. A day later, the Swede’s lead dipped even further to less than 1,500 but, again, he regained and built up another gap. PewDiePie and his rabid army of fans are doing all they can to fight off the advances from T-Series, as each time they fight looks to be drawing to a close, there is a quick swing and Pewds begins to build his lead back up. The king of YouTube has been proving pundits and analysts wrong ever since the war against T-Series begun, as he refuses to give up his lead and laughs at the predictions of when he might finally fall behind. How long the Swede has left on top remains to be seen but, right now, it looks as if he’ll be able to breathe a little easier. This article was previously titled ‘PewDiePie vs T-Series YouTube war almost over as gap continues to shrink’ but the Swede proved us wrong again – and we shouldn’t be surprised at this point considering the massive support he has behind him.

PewDiePie goes to “war” against his video editors, and it’s hilarious – Dexerto
PewDiePie goes to “war” against his video editors, and it’s hilarious PewDiePie, World of the Orange, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg might be the most subscribed creator on the platform, but he doesn’t do everything, himself; the Swede’s two editors give him ample help in his projects, who are now “at odds” with Kjellberg after jokingly calling him out in their own video. PewDiePie’s editors, Muhammed Osman (better known as Sive Morten or Brad Two) and ‘BradWOTO’ (also known as Brad 1), uploaded a joint video on May 28 explaining how fans can get their content onto PewDiePie’s regular ‘LWIAY’ show while reading salty comments on his subreddit. In their video, the editors took a few good-natured jabs at Kjellberg, claiming that the YouTube king sometimes won’t react to certain memes or “doesn’t care” about how he looks in his videos, regardless of framing, lighting, and other such elements. That’s not all; the editors even shot back at salty fans who claimed to be able to do a better job at editing PewDiePie’s videos, as well as those who gave them the blame for certain memes not making an appearance in LWIAY, whatsoever. PewDiePie responded to their jokes in his own video on the subject, which he edited, himself – effectively turning their comments into a humorous “war” between the three parties. https://www.instagram.com/p/BcQMDqKlByQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link“It’s almost like I expect you, the editor, to frame the shot, alright?” PewDiePie laughingly shot back at their comments on his framing abilities. “Oh, look! You actually did it here! Wow! ‘But that would lose quality – ’ like the quality can get any worse, anyway!” Despite their hilarious banter, PewDiePie found himself agreeing with many of his editors’ statements, even admitting that he’d possibly had the wrong settings for OBS during one of his videos, among other blunders. “All memes aside, I am actually proud of my Brads,” PewDiePie continued. “It’s all jokes. We’re all just making silly jokes with each other… and I’m the butt of the joke.” PewDiePie’s latest “war” with his editors follows his ultimate loss against Bollywood music label T-Series, which surpassed his coveted 100 million subscriber milestone on May 29. While T-Series might be the most subscribed channel on the platform, Kjellberg remains the most subscribed independent creator on the site, boasting over 96 million subscribers and counting, thanks to his war with the label.

PewDiePie visited by police after buying ‘forbidden’ Wish item – Dexerto
PewDiePie visited by police after buying ‘forbidden’ Wish item YouTube: PewDiePie / Wish.comYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg claims he had a run-in with the law after buying a weapon from popular online retailer ‘Wish.’ PewDiePie is YouTube’s most-subscribed independent content creator, boasting over a decade of videos on the platform to show for his well-earned 111 million subs. For his latest video, he decided to purchase a few items from the popular online retailer ‘Wish’ — a website often reamed by netizens for hawking alleged knock-off items. For context, Kjellberg can often be seen flipping around what looks like a butterfly knife during his videos and live streams as a sort of fidget toy. PewDiePie’s Wish purchase prompts visit from law enforcement One of his Wish purchases was a ‘balisong,’ another name for a butterfly knife. What seemed like a harmless purchase, however, turned out to be an illegal online transaction for the Swedish YouTube star. In a March 2 video, Kjellberg claimed that he was visited by law enforcement officers after purchasing the balisong from Wish — an item that isn’t prohibited from sale on the site. “I had the great idea [of] trying to buy a balisong,” the YouTuber explained. “Because I like them. They’re fun to play with. It’s awesome. Well, don’t do that. Do not buy a balisong.” “The cops came to my house and they told me I was bad and I shouldn’t have done that,” he continued, before joking, “So, I am sorry. Ya boy’s got a criminal record! Let’s go!” Kjellberg claimed that the ordeal made him “stressed out” and prompted him to purchase several fidget toys of a different (and decidedly less deadly) nature — some of which he surprisingly enjoyed. Overall, it looks like PewDiePie had a fairly decent time with his Wish haul… even if he couldn’t get the balisong he’d wanted in the first place.

PewDiePie vs. T-Series: Real-time LIVE YouTube subscriber counts – Dexerto
PewDiePie vs. T-Series: Real-time LIVE YouTube subscriber counts Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie might have made several startling comebacks to retake his position at number one on the YouTube rankings, but it looks as if T-Series is now the one storming towards the 100 million subscribers mark. There have been some big shifts in the sub counts of these two colossal channels in March and April. At one point, T-Series reached a lead of 100,000 and many mainstream media outlets wrote PewDiePie off right then and there, only for him to steer 400,000 clear soon after. The Indian production company isn’t showing any signs of slowing down at the wheel this time, though. After successfully putting forward a takedown order to have PewDiePie’s new diss track – ‘Congratulations’ – banned in India, they have since managed to record their highest lead yet. PewDiePie and T-Series are no longer neck-and-neck in the race to reach 100 million first. As a number of shifts in the race to 100 million subscribers have already proven, no matter how large the gap is at any given time, there’s always a chance that one of these behemoths could bounce back. However, surely fans of PewDiePie are starting to worry that his YouTube crown has been snatched right from his hands. PewDiePie vs T-Series: Live subscriber counts and sub gap Fans can watch the race between the two channels below thanks to a live feed of their respective subscriber counts provided by FlareTV, a channel run by two Canadian teens who took advantage of their battle to create one of the most-viewed live streams in YouTube’s history. The Swedish internet personality hasn’t just been taken over by T-Series, but he’s being dominated by a lead that looks to be hovering around the 750,000 subscriber figure – the most impressive margin achieved by his rival. Some changes in the statistics have been both shocking and dramatic in recent times, with the release of new video content on the channels proving to be a catalyst for both parties. Therefore, expect things to change as the pair approach the next major milestone of 95 million. Fans of the Swede do have a potential trump card up their sleeve, though, as International PewDiePie day is set to launch on April 29. Whether or not that will be enough to secure top spot once again remains to be seen, but it’s going to be tough – that’s for certain. What’s been happening between PewDiePie and T-Series? As mentioned earlier, the Congratulations diss track has caused quite the stir in the rivalry between the two channels. While it might have proven to be highly popular in Pewds’ circles, T-Series have launched take down orders against both the new track and ‘Bitch Lasagna’ to have the videos blocked in India. PewDiePie’s editor, Sive, later revealed that the diss tracks are unavailable to watch in the country, with comments disabled on both videos. The videos still appear as normal in other countries, but fans of the YouTuber in India will no longer be able to watch the original versions. PewDiePie vs. T-Series: A History PewDiePie has been on the brink of defeat on a few occasions now, after analysts noted that the T-Series channel would surpass him in early 2019. The YouTuber then “declared war” on T-Series shortly thereafter, recording his infamous diss track, ‘Bitch Lasagna,’ which now has over 167 million views and is Kjellberg’s most-viewed video on his channel. Popular YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson then created a massive ad campaign across his entire city in an effort to boost PewDiePie’s numbers, which shot up astronomically in response to the insane project. MrBeast later brought their war to the 2019 Super Bowl, where he and his squad wore a series of shirts that read, ‘Sub 2 PewDiePie’ on live television. As their war got closer, celebrities like political commentator Ben Shapiro and even Tesla CEO Elon Musk made an appearance on ‘Meme Review,’ similarly lifting PewDiePie to the top. [Timestamp: 13:26] T-Series’ CEO Bhushan Kumar posted a video to Twitter on March 6, urging T-Series’ fans to subscribe to the channel in an effort to defeat PewDiePie for good. We’re on the brink of becoming the world’s biggest @YouTube channel. We can make history. We can make India win. Subscribe to @TSeries #BharatWinsYouTube https://t.co/izEu8dzHdf pic.twitter.com/dJumzHwADa — Bhushan Kumar (@itsBhushanKumar) March 6, 2019 Who will come out on top… PewDiePie or T-Series? Kjellberg might have fallen behind T-Series a number of times now, but has managed to make a comeback – despite “not understanding” why – time and time again. During their battle, both PewDiePie and T-Series have managed to hit major milestones, first reaching 70 million subs before hitting a record-breaking 88 million subscribers shortly thereafter. PewDiePie has picked up a slew of milestones in his race against T-Series, currently sitting at over 93 million subs as of April 4.Estimates via Social Blade from November, 2018. It’s been a back and fourth contest with his Bollywood nemesis, but current statistics would suggest that PewDiePie and his fans are now relying on that upcoming International PewDiePie online event to help bring him back to where they think he belongs – in top spot. Who will reach 100 million first? Only time will tell. Whatever happens, though, PewDiePie’s battle with T-Series will go down in history as one of the internet’s greatest moments in time, thanks to the efforts of his dedicated fanbase. PewDiePie urges MrBeast to take his YouTube crown after breaking 100m subscribers – Dexerto
PewDiePie urges MrBeast to take his YouTube crown after breaking 100m subscribers YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube veteran Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg believes that his fellow internet star Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson will “definitely” overtake his incredible YouTube subscriber numbers after he hit 100 million on the platform. MrBeast finally hit the giant 100 million subscriber mark on August 1 and, of course, made sure to celebrate in his typically generous way. Throughout 2021 and 2022, MrBeast has been slowly catching up to his idol PewDiePie who currently sits at 111 million subs. However, their rivalry has always been friendly and the duo have constantly shared their support for one another. With MrBeast’s main channel reaching 102 million subs, as of writing, PewDiePie’s fans were interested to know how he felt about MrBeast taking away his crown. However, PewDiePie welcomed the idea. PewDiePie welcomes MrBeast overtaking him on YouTube In a Q&A video on August 13, PewDiePie claimed that MrBeast will “definitely” overtake his YouTube subs number and was very much eager for him to hit the target. The 32-year-old explained: “Come on, I’ve been retired for like 2 years now. I can’t wait for it to be over […] that’s alright he definitely deserves it. I hope he does it.“ Timestamp of 10:33 The internet icon also explained that following on from his retirement, YouTube has become “less of a priority” for him. Instead, he’s been spending more time working out and enjoying his adventures around his new home in Japan. PewDiePie has been open about the fact that living so far away from friends and family has been a struggle for him and his partner Marzia. Yet, he’s also found the experience “liberating” as he’s been able to enjoy life without being constantly recognized. While MrBeast breaking his sub count might seem like a problem, PewDiePie shared his congratulations to his fellow YouTuber and is evidently more than happy to pass on the torch.

PewDiePie’s viral ‘Congratulations’ diss track gets false copyright claim [UPDATED] – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s viral ‘Congratulations’ diss track gets false copyright claim [UPDATED] PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg released his ‘Congratulations’ diss track against T-Series in late March, flinging up a lot of dirt against the label in the process – but now, the song is stirring up controversy for a different reason. Update – April 8 TuneCore, a platform that helps artists sell their music worldwide, has issued a statement regarding the incident involving PewDiePie’s song being copyright struck. “We are aware of the recent incident of a user claiming a PewDiePie song that he or she does not own the rights to,” they tweeted. “We have taken action against the customer who distributed this song and deactivated the account.” We are aware of the recent incident of a user claiming a PewDiePie song that he or she does not own the rights to. We have taken action against the customer who distributed this song and deactivated the account. Our team will monitor to make sure this does not happen again. — TuneCore (@TuneCore) April 8, 2019 Original Story YouTube channel FlareTV appropriately played ‘Congratulations’ on their livestream of PewDiePie and T-Series’ subscriber count following the song’s release – but if viewers visit the video now, they will merely hear Kjellberg’s original diss track, ‘Bitch Lasagna.’ Viewers spoke out on the issue out of apparent frustration, wondering why the new track had been replaced with its predecessor in light of PewDiePie’s surprising victory over T-Series. Why is FlareTV’s livestream getting copy striked? The teenage duo behind FlareTV addressed fan concerns in their video’s chat, claiming that ‘Congratulations’ had been copy striked by a music label. “Please stop asking about ‘Congratulations,’” they wrote. “It’s copyrighted and I cannot play it on stream.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8tk0uk17gcWho owns the rights to ‘Congratulations?’ However, PewDiePie’s editor ‘Sive’ Osman later clarified that the song had not been copyrighted by his team, explaining that another company had claimed the video – even though they don’t own the rights to the song. “Team YouTube some company called Tunecore are claiming videos on or using PewDiePie’s ‘Congratulations’ song,” he Tweeted of the debacle. “They don’t represent him. How are they getting away with this? Sort this out as soon as [possible].” .@TeamYouTube some company called Tunecore are claiming videos on or using PewDiePie’s “”Congratulations”” song. Thanks to investigation by Drama Alert’s Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, Tunecore appeared to have claimed the video due to an instrumental version of the song called ‘Buckwild,’ created by an artist named Pontus Pettersson in September 2017. PewDiePie’s response to “white supremacist” controversy This development follows PewDiePie’s response to a petition seeking to ban him from YouTube due to alleged white supremacist content, which has gained over 76,000 signatures as of April 7. PewDiePie vehemently decried any white supremacists using his content as a platform, and noted that the petition contained “flat-out lies” about moments in his YouTube career. YouTube has yet to respond to Sive’s Tweet concerning the copystriking of FlareTV’s video as of writing this article.

PewDiePie urges fans to help YouTuber Eugenia Cooney as her video sparks controversy – Dexerto
PewDiePie urges fans to help YouTuber Eugenia Cooney as her video sparks controversy PewDiePie, Twitter / Eugenia Cooney, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is urging his fans to send support to YouTuber Eugenia Cooney, after her video cosplaying Kingdom Hearts character ‘Kairi’ garnered mass concern from viewers. While Cooney has been a subject of controversy for years due to her skeletal appearance, her cosplay video shows a dramatic change in her weight, with the bones in her arms and legs clearly visible. PewDiePie took note of the backlash surrounding the video and urged his viewers to send support her way, as stated during an episode of ‘Pew News’ on February 3. “I just really want people to send her as much support and love as possible, and I really mean that,” Pewds said of the issue. “I think that’s the only thing she needs right now. I hope that she will listen to people and try and understand where they’re coming from.” Since then, members of the “nine-year-old army” have flooded Cooney’s comments section with positive messages, urging her to seek help for what appears to be a severe eating disorder that has plagued the YouTuber for years. While Cooney has yet to respond to the messages, she has previously denied any claims of suffering from eating disorders or body dysmorphia, and encouraged commenters accusing her of promoting anorexia or bulimia to her fanbase to “mind their business.” Despite Cooney’s previous claims, internet users are coming out in droves with concern for the YouTuber, begging those in her life to take action. PewDiePie beats T-Series to 89 million subs, race to 90 million begins – Dexerto
PewDiePie beats T-Series to 89 million subs, race to 90 million begins YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has beaten his fierce rival T-Series to yet another major subscriber milestone – less than a day after his reign at the top looked to be over. The hugely popular Swedish YouTuber has held the top spot on YouTube for a number of years, but his reign at the top was plunged into danger in 2018 by the Bollywood Production company. Since appearing on the scene, T-Series has pushed the Swede all the way, forcing Pewds and his fans to pull out all the stops. His rabid fanbase has obliged with help at every step of the way – with some holding a parade and others advertising in their local Walmart store. More notable names, like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, have also done their part – keeping the Swede ahead. Now, with the support from Musk and others, PewDiePie has hit another major milestone – with T-Series still trailing closely behind. Thanks to a recent influx of subscribers on March 12, Kjellberg has now crossed the 89 million subscribers mark – despite his lead at the top having slipped to less than 400 on March 11. It’s another major marker passed for the YouTube’s number one channel, as the race to 90 million subscribers continues – and as he looks to retain his spot as the king of the platform following a number of recent close calls. Just how long the Swede has left on top remains to be seen but, right now, the focus is on securing another load of subscribers on his march to 90 million. Plus, even if he does eventually fall behind to T-Series, he’s beaten all of the initial projections that had him losing his lead some time ago. Pewds and his fans continue to surprise everyone, and we wouldn’t put it past them to have a few other ideas lined up to keep his reign at the top going.

PewDiePie under fire for “mocking” deaf TikToker – Dexerto
PewDiePie under fire for “mocking” deaf TikToker YouTube: PewDiePiePopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is under fire after some have accused him of “mocking” a deaf TikToker who was speaking in sign language during a recent video. Others have defended the clip, arguing that it was only a critique of the TikToker’s nails. With over 111 million subscribers on YouTube, PewDiePie is one of the most successful long-time creators on the Google-owned platform. He’s known for his gameplay reactions and reaction videos that sometimes star fellow YouTuber CinnamonToastKen. In a video uploaded on July 26 where he reacted to TikTok uploads, Kjellberg “mocked” a TikToker’s nails, in a video where she was speaking in American Sign Language. At the end of her video, he mentioned that she has “crazy nails” while moving his dog’s arms around to imitate the action. PewDiePie under fire for “mocking” deaf TikToker Just a day after his video was uploaded, users took to Twitter to share their thoughts. One Twitter user named saturn shared a recording of the clip with the caption: “so why is nobody talking about PewDiePie making fun of a deaf black woman?” User ‘moonlightcherie’ said “PewDiePie mocking a deaf TikTok creator for signing in her videos simply because she has long nails…as if the dude couldn’t be any worse” Another argued that the clip was not ableist, but rather racist. However, many users have also defended PewDiePie, arguing that the clip was only mocking the TikToker’s long nails, and had nothing to do with her being deaf or black. It appears the clip in question has now been removed from PewDiePie’s upload. Although, at the time of writing, a screenshot of the TikToker is still in the thumbnail of his video uploaded on July 26. He has yet to respond to the backlash, but we’ll be sure to update this article if he does.

PewDiePie trolls LeBron James after study finds YouTuber is “more liked” – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolls LeBron James after study finds YouTuber is “more liked” YouTuber on the planet, amassing over 102 million subscribers through a variety of gaming content, satirical music videos, and real-life content. On the other hand, James is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, if not the very best, drawing comparisons to the legendary Michael Jordan and recognized globally as nothing short of a superstar. Now, new research implies that PewDiePie is actually more popular amongst Gen Z males than LeBron James, an idea that would have been unfathomable only a few years ago. As reported by Variety, a study by Morning Consult suggests that while Pewds has similar name recognition to James, he’s actually viewed more favorably by that demographic – and he let James know about it on Twitter, saying: “People like LeBron James?” The study places PewDiePie second in the list of most recognized male influencers, ahead of the likes of James, Steph Curry and Elon Musk and behind only Justin Bieber. However, Pewds’ favorability rating is at 62%, while James’ is slightly behind at 55% and Bieber is way off at 18%. LeBron is yet to respond to PewDiePie and, truthfully, it’s unlikely he will – but the clashing of these two personalities may be too much for Twitter, anyway. Shane Dawson also makes the top five for popularity amongst Gen Z women, with a favorability rating of 51%, behind just Zendaya and Beyoncé. Not bad company to be keeping for a couple of YouTubers.

PewDiePie trolls scam caller during live stream – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolls scam caller during live stream YouTube, PewDiePieSwedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is at it again with another hilarious antic after receiving a scam call during a recent live stream. Just about everyone with a smartphone will admit that they have received at least one scam call or text in their life, whether it involved someone trying to get information to access their accounts or finding a way to get you to send them money. When Kjellberg received a phone call during his stream on September 15 and realized what it was, he quickly switched to his away screen and let the chat listen to the call. PewDiePie trolls scam caller While opening packs of Digimon cards, PewDiePie quickly slid his ringing phone off-camera in an effort to hide the number and potentially protect one of his friends. Unfortunately for the YouTuber, he was instead receiving an offer for cheaper phone service. The scammer asked what devices the creator had, and asked how much he pays a month for his network plan. PewDiePie decided to troll the caller by bypassing the question of how much he was paying, causing the scammer to get angry and start raising his voice at the creator. Reacting to his shift in tone the leader of the floor gang replied: “Don’t yell, don’t yell, please. I have kids in the room.” Noticing further frustration with the caller, Kjellberg asked him if he liked Digimon cards, as he was opening them on stream right before the call. Shortly after asking the question, the scammer hung up the phone in frustration, which allowed the Swedish YouTuber to get back to what he was doing. Luckily for PewDiePie, he knew the phone call was a scam. However, a few scammers do occasionally slip through the cracks by catching people when they’re just waking up… but this time, it ended up being a hilarious situation that viewers clearly got a kick out of.

PewDiePie trolls fans with bizarre new “G FUEL” flavor YouTube: PewDiePie / G FUEL / EmojiYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg trolled fans on Twitter when he revealed his new “G FUEL” flavor, and it’s as Swedish as you can get. PewDiePie partnered up with G FUEL in the beginning of 2019 in what has gone on to become an epic sponsorship. The Swede has cleverly integrated the energy formula into his memes, making it a staple of his channel. However, the YouTube star took it to a whole new level when he hilariously trolled his fans with an announcement of his “new drink flavor” on October 9, and it was authentically Swedish. PewDiePie’s “new” G FUEL flavor The Swede surprised his fans on Twitter when he posted “New pewdiepie gfuel flavour reveal!”, and included a video announcement. “I have some exciting news, I can finally reveal the G FUEL flavor,” he teased. “The PewDiePie G FUEL flavor is – you guessed it – meatballs. We tried to experiment a lot to make sure it is Swedish meatball authentic. I approve!” he said before guzzling down the drink. PewDiePie gagged as he swallowed the liquid, revealing the whole thing to be a joke. New pewdiepie gfuel flavour reveal! pic.twitter.com/V4Dci6aWwf — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) October 9, 2019 G FUEL themselves decided to get in on the fun, as CCO Scotty Tidwell tweeted “IKEA gonna be big mad when they find out we jacked their Swedish Meatball recipe” with a bro-fist emoji. Pewds’ tweet blew up an hour after posting it, with 48.5K likes and over 400k views on his video as of the time of this article. Fans hilariously posted vomiting gifs, and even his friend and fellow Swedish YouTube star Joel ‘Roomie’ Berghult got in on the fun. PewDiePie continues to dominate on YouTube, despite his temporary break from his wildly popular Minecraft series. The Swede recently took a vacation in Japan, where he revealed that he and his wife bought a house there on September 30. As of the time of this article, he currently has 101 million subs, which understandably makes him a desired partner for sponsorships with his massive audience – though we’re not sure he’ll be getting a meatball G FUEL flavor any time soon. While it was all in good fun, if nothing else this stunt proves that the energy formula maker and the YouTube king are a perfect match together as far as sponsorship deals go.

PewDiePie trolls internet forums with awful life “advice” – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolls internet forums with awful life “advice” YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg gave strangers life advice during his October 18 episode, after reacting to some mind-numbingly awful questions posted on Yahoo Answers. The Swede continued his reaction uploads with his latest video, this time setting his sights on Yahoo Answers – one of the most notoriously baffling areas of the internet. People go to the site to ask for sometimes obvious life advice, to mixed results. However after reacting to some of the most hilariously misguided questions, the YouTuber took it upon himself to create an account and impart his wisdom to the masses by giving life advice to strangers on the forum. PewDiePie’s life advice The YouTube star looked at the current Yahoo Answers site, and shook his head at what he found. “You can’t help these people!” he exclaimed after noticing people trying to respond to awful questions that should be common sense. Pewds then decided to create his own account, where he trolled said posts instead of providing help. One question asked “Do soda calories count?” to which the Swede replied “Not if you count them dummy!” as he burst out laughing. Another curious Yahoo user asked “How can I get that last drop of pee?” which cracked PewDiePie into fits of giggles. Laughing, he wrote “Stick a straw in there, that’s what I do!” before he patted himself on the back. “Man, I’m good at this!” When someone else asked what age is it acceptable to start yelling at a child, the YouTube king wrote “Straight outta the womb, baby! Show that baby who’s in control!” (Timestamp of 12:23 for mobile viewers.) The Yahoo help forum launched over fourteen years ago in 2005, and is a question and answer database that allows the sites community to answer any questions that people submit to it. However, the site is notorious for showcasing how shockingly misinformed people are on basic subjects, and has become a breeding ground for people to troll – which our favorite Swede chose to do. While PewDiePie’s Minecraft videos have been less frequent with his recent announcement of buying a house in Japan while on vacation on September 30, the Swede is still crushing it as his channel continues to pull in millions of views a day. The YouTube star is no stranger to doing reaction content, as he had built up his channel for years with iconic shows like ‘PewNews’, and ‘MemeReviews’, making his recent videos a welcome return. As of the time of this article he has over 101 million subscribers on YouTube.

PewDiePie trolls a fan during hilarious moment in VR game – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolls a fan during hilarious moment in VR game PewDiePie, YouTube / Pavlov VR, davevillzYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg went live in a VR stream on December 29, during which he had a hilarious encounter with one of his fans. PewDiePie put on his VR gear to jump into a session of ‘Pavlov VR,’ a virtual reality first-person shooter title similar to ‘Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.’ Pewds was in the midst of the game when he encountered one of his fans on the battlefield. Rather than adding them to his killstreak, he decided on a truce – or, so he claimed. “You know what? Let’s just put down the guns and get along,” Pewds suggested, dropping his gun the floor. He kept his knife, however, holding it behind his back despite the fan’s suspicions. “Alright – I trust you,” the fan conceded. “It’s all about trust.” They approached the YouTuber until the two were face to face, after which PewDiePie stuck him with the knife, seemingly bewildered at the outcome. “How did that happen?” Pewds asked incredulously, before getting taken out by the respawned player with a well-timed gunshot. This isn’t the first hilarious moment PewDiePie has experienced in ‘Pavlov VR,’ either; his initial stint with the game on November 29 saw a slew of humorous instances, including his confusion with equipping weapons. Pewds likewise met up with a fan during this session, who suffered an unfortunate shot to the head while thanking the YouTuber for his impact on the internet community. PewDiePie is currently in a close battle against Bollywood Label T-Series to become the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, which has incited a massive wave of support from fans and celebrities across the globe.

PewDiePie tests the limits of YouTube’s new harassment policy – Dexerto
PewDiePie tests the limits of YouTube’s new harassment policy Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took another shot at YouTube’s new harassment policy during his December 15 upload by reacting to some questionable memes. YouTube’s most popular content creator PewDiePie hasn’t been too thrilled with the video-hosting service’s latest harassment policy – which they rolled out on December 11. The Swedish star, who has been vocal about his criticisms of the new rules, combated them during his latest upload by reacting to content that pushes the envelope. The Swedish YouTuber reached over 102 million followers in 2019. PewDiePie reacts to edgy memes to combat harassment policy The popular YouTuber has slammed the platforms harassment policy in the past, calling it “stupid” and arguing that it fails to distinguish the difference between a joke and actual bullying. Pewds used his latest upload titled “I will get in trouble for this” to test the policy’s limits by reacting to the ‘Cursed Comments’ forum on Reddit, where he read submissions that contained vulgar language, sexual jokes, and taboo subjects. After reading a submission that had violence in the subject, he mocked the updated rules. “It was a joke, YouTube! It was a joke! But he said it! How am I supposed to interpret it? Oh God, he’s dog whistling to other groups,” the 30-year-old said. (Timestamp 01:16 for mobile users.) Each time he read an edgy joke from the Reddit forum, a disclaimer flashed at the bottom of his screen that read “The comments made in this video are purely sarcasm, or hyperbole. Do not take me seriously! PewDiePie does not encourage or endorse anything in this video!” The YouTube king seems worn down by the platform’s changes, which was demonstrated in his December 14 upload.”YouTube 2019 everyone! It just keeps getting better and better,” he said sarcastically, before continuing. “That’s what I enjoy the most. The step by step improvement that keep occurring!” He also pointed out that the platform is tough on how it enforces its policies. “The thing I’ve learned about YouTube’s policies is that it doesn’t matter what they say. What matters is how they enforce it. And we’ve already seen how it’s done!” the Swede said. (Timestamp 00:23 for mobile users.) PewDiePie recently announced that he is taking a break from making videos on YouTube in 2020, explaining that he’s “tired” – although he said he will clarify more later on what pushed him to this decision. Despite his frustrations, the popular entertainer has had an incredible year, reaching 100 million subscribers in August, and getting married in the same month. He was also named the most watched channel on the platform in the annual Rewind video.

PewDiePie trolled by fans for not knowing Bangladesh is a country – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolled by fans for not knowing Bangladesh is a country The internet rarely forgets anything and that’s especially true when the most-subscribed man on YouTube makes a hilarious mistake. Fresh off his major accomplishment of being the first YouTuber to reach 70 million subscribers, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg decided to do another edition of his signature “Meme Review.” Little did he know, however, that one small mistake he made in a video on November 6 would come back to haunt him in hilarious fashion. In that video, PewDiePie was highlighting the many ways that his fans have rallied behind him in his race with T-Series when he seemed to imply that he thought Bangladesh was located in India. His fans were quick to point on the mistake and created a multitude of memes that he unknowingly reviewed during his newest video. “There’s been so many articles about this,” laughs PewDiePie before reading a headline titled ‘Bangladesh backs PewDiePie in YouTube battle with T-Series, despite him not realising it’s a country.’ Trying to quickly backtrack, PewDiePie assures viewers that he definitely know Bangladesh is a country as he Googles quick facts about the country to (unsuccessfully) prove his point. Read More: Trainswreckstv responds to Alinity’s allegations of sexual harassment and aggressive behavior – The memes didn’t stop there, though, as fans continued trolling him in ways that kept surprising PewDiePie every time. PewDiePie took it all in good fun, shrugging off the jokes before ending his video by thanking his fans for their undying support and saying he’s “so lucky to be in this position.” You can follow along in the race between PewDiePie and T-Series with live subscriber counts at our official hub.

PewDiePie Tells Tana Mongeau To Delete Her Channel After the TanaCon Disaster and Footage Exposing Her – Dexerto
PewDiePie Tells Tana Mongeau To Delete Her Channel After the TanaCon Disaster and Footage Exposing Her The ongoing ‘TanaCon’ scandal has had some serious developments in recent days, as new footage shows Tana and the event organizer’s purposefully selling tickets beyond the venue’s capacity, as PewDiePie has called out. TanaCon was a convention set up to rival ‘VidCon’, an event where fans gather and get to see and chat to some of their favorite YouTube creators. After Tana Mongeau was publicly critical of VidCon for apparently not treating her like the other creators, she went about creating her own convention, largely to simply spite VidCon. However, TanaCon was roundly a disaster, leading to thousands of fans left waiting outside due to overcrowding in the venue – some of whom had paid considerable money for tickets, travel and accommodation. After the event was cancelled, Tana later claimed that 15,000 people had turned up unexpectedly, leading to the cancellation. But a police report later clarified that this number was on 4,000. PewDiePie, the most popular YouTuber with over 60 million subscribers has been keeping up with the story, and his latest video exposes both Tana and the event organizer’s for knowingly selling more tickets than the venue could accommodate. “They both knew, they also knew that the event only held 1,200 people.” But in the clips, Tana explains that she “loves” the number of 5,200 people, and she goes on to say: “It would be really, really cool to have people outside waiting to get in. Like, people love to be oppressed outside” PewDiePie finishes by directly addressing Tana and suggesting the only way she can make things right, as she claims she wants to do, is by deleting her channel. “I know how to make this right, and I’m not saying this sarcastically or ironically. Here’s what you gotta do – delete your channel. You clearly don’t deserve to have and audience, the people being ‘oppressed outside’ was your audience, the people that care for you, the people that paid money to see you. To me this is the perfect example of greed of ego and greed of money being combined and creating this giant mess. Ultimately, everyone loses – except me, because I get content to criticize.” You can watch PewDiePie’s full video on the situation below.

PewDiePie tells viewers to stop comparing him to Charli D’Amelio – Dexerto
PewDiePie tells viewers to stop comparing him to Charli D’Amelio YouTube: PewDiePie / charli d’amelioDuring his December 14 upload, popular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg explained to viewers why he doesn’t see any competition between himself & TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment for many viewers over the last decade. In 2020, the 31-year-old has amassed over 108 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. For a new generation, TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio is filling a similar role. However, the Swede told viewers to stop trying to make a competition between them as he “doesn’t care.” PewDiePie isn’t interested in Charli D’Amelio’s subs The YouTuber was reacting to user-submitted content when a fan linked him to a TikTok creator who made a PewDiePie-themed cake. The YouTuber used the moment to address the platform’s biggest star, Charli D’Amelio. “Speaking of TikTok, apparently there is some lady. I’m not on TikTok, I don’t follow TikTok. There is someone that is getting 100 million followers, and I’ve been seeing some comments like “Oh, she can’t take it” … I don’t care. Good for her,” he said. He told fans worried she would pass him in total subscribers to not worry about it. “Let’s focus on the real target here. Nursery rhyme channels. Just don’t be talking about it. I don’t care. Great. It’s all a meme. It’s all a joke,” he said, jokingly referencing his past competition with YouTube channel Coco Melon. (Topic starts at 08:39) In 2019, Pewds went viral with his epic “feud” between himself and T-Series, which some viewers at the time took seriously. However in 2020, Kjellberg has explained on multiple occasions that their battle over the most subscribers was always a joke. Read More: Shroud explains why he stopped playing PUBG – It looks as if PewDiePie is squashing any talk about competing with D’Amelio over followers – as he has zero interest in it. While the YouTuber has told fans to stop talking about the subject, he did however congratulate the TikTok star on her success, stating, “Good for her.”

PewDiePie tells people to “move on” from Alinity ‘copystrike’ drama – Dexerto
PewDiePie tells people to “move on” from Alinity ‘copystrike’ drama YouTube: PewDiePie / Twitch: Alinity[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]During his latests upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed that he had “buried the hatchet” with Twitch star Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon. The Swedish content creator told viewers that it’s time to “move on” from their past drama. PewDiePie “buries the hatchet” with Alinity The YouTuber made the revelation after reacting to a meme a fan submitted about Alinity. The star paused the show and told viewers that the two had actually “buried the hatchet” with each other. “I never said this, but Alinity actually reached out. She apologized, we totally buried the hatchet. And I don’t want to take part in any more s**t on Alinity memes, even though this one is very subtle,” he said. Kjellberg then told viewers to let go of the past and move on: “I don’t hold grudges, and neither should you guys. I see this a lot, people bringing up s**t someone did years ago. Yeah, no one cares anymore. Is that really what you bother your life with? Come on, let’s just move on.” (Topic starts at 04:24) Alinity infamously became entangled with the 30-year-old back in 2018 when she threatened to copyright strike his video after he made a joke about Twitch streamers. However, Mogollon later explained that it was her management that had issued the strike, after not realizing she was joking around. The star apologized to the creator in 2020, which he has now accepted. The Twitch personality went on the Healthy Gamer show in July as well, where she discussed her past mistakes in depth – including her drama with PewDiePie. However according to Kjellberg, the two are ready to move on from the incident as he’s now asking viewers to stop with the negative Alinity memes as it’s all in the past now.

PewDiePie teases new weekly show following return from YouTube break – Dexerto
PewDiePie teases new weekly show following return from YouTube break YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg teased his fans with a potential new show during his February 28 upload, and claimed the weekly project would be like a mini ‘podcast.’ PewDiePie is the biggest creator on YouTube with millions of fans across the world. The entertainer has grown his viewership off creative shows like Meme Review and PewNews. However, fresh off his return from a month-long break from uploading content, the Swede used his latest Last Week I Asked You segment to tease a new show that he’s thinking about doing. PewDiePie considering a new weekly show During the latest episode of LWIAY, the Swedish star teased his audience about possibly creating a new show on his channel, but was hesitant to call it a podcast. The weekly segment would be similar to PewNews which made its debut in 2018 and focused on him reacting to the latest news in pop culture and YouTube. “I’ve been thinking, I’ve been playing around with ideas because I want to do a weekly show. And I think a weekly PewNews recap could be kind of fun. Almost like…” he said before he paused. “I don’t want to say the P word. I don’t want to say podcast. But I think something like that could be interesting.” (Timestamp 11:14 for mobile users.) While the Swede seemed hesitant to call it a podcast, many content creators in his field have made the transition to the long-form format with major success. Ethan and Hila Klein who make up the comedic duo ‘H3H3’ jumped from regular uploads on YouTube to hosting the H3 Podcast which has become wildly popular. This isn’t the first time the entertainer has hinted at new projects. In his first video back from his YouTube break, Pewds explained that he’s looking into making some changes to content. “And there is definitely some changes I will have to do with the channel, but I’ll do them gradually,” he said. While a PewDiePie podcast would certainly be a smash hit, his hint sounded closer to a mini weekly recap like PewNews. How it would be different from the old segment exactly, fans will just have to wait and see. Despite taking a month-long break in January, the YouTuber’s channel hasn’t been impacted at all. Since his return, his videos have been gaining millions of views, demonstrating why the Swede is still the king of the platform.

PewDiePie teases special Minecraft reward when he hits 100 million subs YouTube: PewDiePie / MojangDuring his August 12 episode of ‘Last Week I Asked You’, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg teased a special Minecraft reward once he hits his next subscriber milestone. PewDiePie is quickly approaching 100 million subscribers, making him the highest subbed independent creator on the platform. During the YouTuber’s latest episode of LWIAY – a show where he comments on user-submitted content from his Reddit community – he enticed his audience to subscribe by promising a 12-hour Minecraft live stream once he hits his next subscriber milestone. A 12-hour Minecraft livestream Back in July, the Swede promised a 12-hour live stream if his video got more than two million likes in 24 hours, but unfortunately viewers were not able to do it in time. So his 12-hour stream challenge has become a bit of a meme with his fan-base. Read More: Dr Disrespect destroys peeking PUBG players – One of the submissions in the episode directly referenced it, with the popular Grand Theft Auto San Andreas meme. “12 hour Minecraft Livestream at 100 mil. Come on gamers!?” Another submission pointed out the fact that after he hits 100 million, the next video was just going to be “another beautiful day in Minecraft.” The YouTube star laughed and said “No-one is gonna want anything else. Let’s be real here.” The Swede then stopped the show to repeat his request from earlier. “Come on gamers! 12 hour livestream at 100 million. Subscribe!” he said, clapping in between each word, emphasizing the challenge. (Timestamp of 05:44 for mobile viewers.) PewDiePie teases new song and it could be another diss track – Dexerto
PewDiePie teases new song and it could be another diss track YouTube: PewDiePie / PixabayDuring his October 7 episode of ‘Last Week I Asked You’, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg shocked his audience when he teased a brand new diss track. PewDiePie is continuing to take a break from his wildly popular Minecraft series, as he is currently on vacation in Japan after revealing he bought a house there on September 30. As he’s not in his normal filming setup, the Swede has been doing his beloved reaction style videos instead, where he looks at memes fans submitted on his subreddit. During his October 7 episode, he dropped another surprise announcement. PewDiePie teases a new diss track The YouTube king reacted to a meme about his iconic ‘B*tch Lasagna’ diss track which he created at the height of his feud with T-Series – an India-based corporation which he battled with for the most subscribers on YouTube. The submission pointed out how the song amassed 220 million views in just over a year. “Dammmn! Has it been one year!? Don’t worry gamers, I have a new song coming!” Pewds revealed, as he pointed directly into the camera. He then followed up with another tease: “And it’s going to make B*tch Lasagna look like a b*tch… Lasagna. That’s all I can say right now!” (Timestamp of 01:01 for mobile viewers.) While it’s not entirely clear whether he was joking, it wouldn’t be a shock if the Swede decided to drop another song when his two diss tracks ‘B*tch Lasagna’ and ‘Congratulations’ did insanely well. In fact, the two songs have brought in over 368 million views combined, and were a pop culture phenomenon, making the T-Series vs PewDiePie feud one of the most memorable moments of 2018. While PewDiePie has taken a temporary break from his Minecraft uploads, his reaction series such as ‘PewNews’, ‘Meme Review’, and ‘LIWAY’ have long been staples of his channel before he jumped into the popular sandbox title. His reaction videos continue to bring in over five million views an upload, and according to Social Blade, has not slowed down his channel’s growth at all. As of the time of this article, PewDiePie has 101 million subscribers, breaking his 100 million YouTube milestone on August 25. If and when he drops another diss track, it is sure to set the internet on fire again.

PewDiePie takes YouTube hiatus as baby’s due date approaches Instagram: itsmarziapieYouTube star PewDiePie says he’s taking a hiatus from YouTube “for a while” as the due date for he and wife Marzia’s baby approaches. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg might be ‘retired’ from YouTube, but he says he’s taking a big step back from his current content creation schedule as his little bundle of joy prepares to meet the world. In February 2023, he and wife Marzia revealed they were expecting their very first child — a huge, happy announcement that fans all across the world were thrilled about. This joyful news came a little under a year after they’d moved to Japan from the United Kingdom years after purchasing a house in the country due to the global health issue. The couple got married in 2019 after several years of dating. Marzia’s due date is sometime in July, as the couple revealed in a YouTube video — so, to prepare, PewDiePie is taking some time off from making videos for the next little while. PewDiePie takes YouTube break to prepare for child’s birth The YouTuber made this announcement in a vlog uploaded on June 29, 2023. “Just wanted to say, it’s getting very close now,” he began. “Very close to becoming a dad. I’m very, very, very excited. I don’t know what it’s gonna be like. I don’t know if I’ll have time to make videos. Is it gonna be chaos? I don’t know.” “But I imagine I won’t upload for a while. So, just wanted to say thank you for all the support in these vlogs. We’re so happy you guys have enjoyed them and we can share a bit of our life here. But I think, for now, we might take a little break until we come back again.” (Topic begins at 26:34) Fans are sending Pewds and Marzia their well-wishes as the couple prepares to meet their baby — the gender of which, at the time of writing, is still unknown. However, fans were certain they’d figured it out based on some not-so-subtle hints on the couple’s social media pages celebrating a Japanese holiday. That’s not all; Marzia also shared a pic of some baby clothes to her Instagram page, some of which are blue. Because of these, viewers are convinced they’re having a boy — but for now, we still don’t know for certain.

Arguably his most popular series to date – a considerable achievement given the acclaim pretty much everything he does is met with – is his foray into Minecraft. Mojang’s sandbox game has kept millions of players around the world engaged since its release in 2011. 10 years later, and PewDiePie is showing just how popular it can still be. PewDiePie slams Trisha Paytas after H3H3 and Nikocado Avocado dramas – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams Trisha Paytas after H3H3 and Nikocado Avocado dramas PewDiePie, YouTube / Trisha Paytas, InstagramControversial YouTuber Trisha Paytas has been stirring up drama with other personalities in the space, including the likes of H3H3’s Ethan Klein and even one of her own fans – and now, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is weighing in on the matter. Paytas made waves on the platform after YouTuber Nikocado Avocado uploaded a video discussing his experience with her, where he explained that she’d invited him to Los Angeles for a collab – which never ended up happening. Instead, Paytas effectively ghosted Nikocado for the entire duration of his stay, despite the fact that he’d flown all the way from Colombia to see her under the pretense of creating content together. PewDiePie called out Paytas for this “abusive” behavior during an episode of “Cringe Thursday” on May 30, where he called her a “liar, manipulator, playing the victim,” and “aggressive.” “She just completely changed the story, because Trisha can’t be the bad person,” PewDiePie sarcastically said of her scandal with Nikocado. “The reason why she ghosted him was because she was scared of him. That’s right. Because Nikocado Avocado had a thumbnail where he had a knife and said, ‘I’ve had enough,’ and she’s just scared of him.” That wasn’t all that Kjellberg clowned Paytas for, either; the YouTube king went on to address her feud with Ethan Klein, who called her out for photoshopping her Instagram pictures, which saw a venomous response from Paytas towards his pregnant wife asking her to divorce him. “I think that’s pretty fair,” PewDiePie said of her response. “Tweeting someone’s pregnant wife how to raise their child and to leave their husband. Jesus Christ, could she have been any more gross about it?” While Kjellberg admitted that Klein could have made comparisons of good and bad photos with just about anyone, Klein’s video likewise attracted the attention of another top YouTuber in the space: Anthony Padilla, who took issue with Klein comparing the “unedited” women to “manatees” and “Twinkies.” but saying the unedited photos of these women look like manatees, twinkies and other insults seems to go against that positive message. what was your reasoning for including that? (2/2) — Anthony Padilla (@anthonypadilla) May 9, 2019 PewDiePie’s video over Trisha’s drama follows his ultimate loss against Bollywood label T-Series, which broke his 100 million subscriber goal on May 29. While PewDiePie may not be the most subscribed channel on YouTube any longer, he is still the most subscribed independent creator on the site, with over 96 million subscribers and counting.

PewDiePie takes his YouTube battle against T-Series to virtual reality – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes his YouTube battle against T-Series to virtual reality King of YouTube Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took the battle against T-Series to the virtual space to show that he’s not backing down from the drawn out affair. Even though the subscriber gap reached critically low numbers at one point, the Swede made a startling comeback after he had Elon Musk and Justin Roiland host a segment of Meme Review. Now that the gap is at a healthy 100,000 sub lead, a reinvigorated PewDiePie is taking the fight to the Indian music label through the virtual reality game GORN. GORN is a gladiator simulator where players fight against waves of incoming enemies. PewDiePie used the game’s latest level as a metaphor for T-Series in his never-ending fight to stay ahead of them. “Sweden has been a peaceful country, but not anymore,” PewDiePie said. “Now of course, I would never incite violence toward T-series, but in a hypothetical scenario, you versus me, I’m gonna show how that would look like… There’s a new level called ‘Crab,’ that’s cause I know T-Series are crab people. God damn crap people.” What followed was a 10-minute foray against “T-Series” as PewDiePie hacked and slashed away through his relentless competition. Even though the video was a parody of PewDiePie’s will against the company, it was a hilarious representation of the actual effort to stay ahead of his competition. Like many times during the struggle keep the title of YouTube’s Most Subscribed Channel, PewDiePie came close to being knocked down many times. But the longer the fight continued the more weapons, aka celebrity assistance, the Swede obtained to fight back against T-Series. At the end of his playthrough he spoke directly to T-Series saying that he hopes “he made himself clear” that he wouldn’t go down without a fight.

PewDiePie takes shots at YouTube over new harassment policy – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes shots at YouTube over new harassment policy Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg took shots at YouTube’s new harassment policy, and explained why he vehemently hates the current climate for comedy. YouTube rolled out a new harassment policy in December to curve toxic behavior such as bullying, however, the new guidelines received backlash from content creators and viewers who claim it goes too far. PewDiePie weighed in on it during his December 13 episode of Last Week I Asked You – a series in which he reacts to fan submitted memes – and explained why he “f**king hates” the climate we are currently in. PewDiePie hits out at YouTube The popular star was reacting to memes about YouTube’s annual Rewind video when he took shots at the clip-hosting platform for its recent harassment policy changes. “So you’re not allowed to make fun of people’s appearances anymore, but I’ll freakin’ do it anyway!” he joked. “Hey YouTube, you’re ugly! I don’t freakin’ care, what are you gonna do?!” The 30-year-old then commented on his wildly popular diss track Congratulations being excluded from Rewind. “It should have been on the list. But we said some super hurtful things, so it’s understandable. It’s definitely harassment. Jesus Christ, what is happening to comedy?” The YouTube king then exclaimed “mediocre” comedy will be the only thing allowed after the policy change. “It doesn’t get better does it. COPPA and edgy content slashed out in one month. Can’t wait for more mediocre humor on this platform.” Continuing his rant, PewDiePie explained why he “hates” this climate. “Don’t go too far. That’s harassment. Because we can’t tell the difference if you are genuine or joking or not. I f**king hate this current climate. It’s so f**cking stupid!” The Swede then warned that history will look back on this time and think everyone was “idiots,” even those speaking out against it, because they will be lumped in with the “f**king morons who are controlling what is happening.” (Timestamp 00:28 for mobile users.) Despite PewDiePie’s harsh criticisms, he was featured in 2019’s Rewind multiple times as the most watched YouTube channel on the platform, and having the second most liked video of the year. The Swede is not alone in his negative views on the new policy, as #YouTubeIsOver was trending on Twitter after the Google owned platform announced the rule changes.

PewDiePie takes shots at Logan Paul after visiting forest in Japan – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes shots at Logan Paul after visiting forest in Japan PewDiePie, Logan Paul Vlogs – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg traveled to Japan on holiday in late March, prompting a hilarious jab toward controversial YouTuber Logan Paul in the process. PewDiePie talked about his trip to Kamakura’s bamboo forest in an episode of LWIAY on April 6, where he threw some not-so-subtle shade toward Paul for his infamous debacle in Japan’s Aokigahara ‘Suicide Forest’ in early 2018. “It didn’t hit me when I went there until afterwards,” he said of his Kamakura venture. “…surprisingly, we made it out. No controversies. Controversy averted. Thank you very much, Logan Paul, for taking one for the team.” [Timestamp: 1:40 for mobile viewers] Same country, different forest It is worth noting that PewDiePie didn’t visit the same forest as Logan Paul; Kjellberg instead visited Kamakura’s Hōkoku-ji temple, also known as the ‘Bamboo Temple,’ due to the luscious bamboo garden that extends throughout the area. The thumbnail and title of PewDiePie’s video even appear to allude to Paul’s 2018 incident, although Kjellberg admitted that he hadn’t realized the similarities between the two at the time. PewDiePie’s previous disses toward Logan Paul This wouldn’t be the first time PewDiePie has taken shots at Logan Paul, either; the YouTube king appeared to diss Paul’s response to his battle against T-Series in December 2018, after Paul required he wear a Maverick hoodie in return for his help. PewDiePie admitted that he hadn’t given Paul his home address for the merchandise, and even compared the sub gap between his channel and that of T-Series during the time of Paul’s efforts to those of Markiplier, who saved him with a last-minute livestream on December 3. [Timestamp: 0:47 for mobile viewers] Speaking out on Paul’s “going gay” controversy However, PewDiePie has likewise shown sympathy to Paul in the past, appearing to take up for the YouTuber after claiming he would “go gay” for the month of March as part of his New Year’s resolution. “…I don’t know, man,” PewDiePie said of the debacle. “‘Male Only March.’ Was that it? It’s such a stupid joke. Is that really worth getting that upset about?” [Timestamp: 1:51 for mobile viewers] Since then, PewDiePie has reached a record-breaking 93 million subscribers on YouTube, after seemingly being defeated by T-Series in late March. Upon releasing his ‘Congratulations’ diss track against the Bollywood label, PewDiePie’s subscriber count skyrocketed, now sitting at over 400,000 above T-Series as of April 6.

PewDiePie takes shots at Alinity for being “infuriating” – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes shots at Alinity for being “infuriating” PewDiePie, YouTube / Alinity, TwitterYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took a few playful jabs at Twitch streamer Alinity Divine, as stated during his review of Reddit’s “mildly infuriating” subreddit. Pewds and his editor, Sive (often referred to as ‘Brad 2’ by PewDiePie or ‘Sive 1’), were scrolling through the page when they came across a post complaining that clothing brand North Face had stolen an artist’s photo for a shirt design. Sive noted how easy it is for YouTubers to get demonetized due to copyright infringement on the platform, while companies elsewhere easily steal from smaller creators – which prompted a hilarious response from PewDiePie. [Timestamp: 2:11 for mobile viewers] “Now I’m infuriated!” Pewds said of the issue. “Now it’s personal.” Sive went on to rate the post “an Alinity out of ten” – to which PewDiePie laughingly agreed. “Alinity out of ten, everyone!” Pewds concurred. “I agree. That’s a perfect rating.” PewDiePie’s light-hearted comments toward Alinity come as no surprise, as the two exchanged shots in May of 2018, after Alinity claimed one of Pewd’s videos for using the phrase “Twitch thot” in reference to her stream. Pewds hit back at Alinity’s strike by noting that his video was protected under fair use, and claimed that the streamer had been abusing YouTube’s Content ID system under content agency CollabDRM. The YouTube king went on to poke fun at the fact that Alinity admitted marriage fraud to move to Canada – and even noted that Alinity had used a racial slur during her stream, feeling that Twitch was granting “special favors” toward female streamers for refusing to ban her for the language.

PewDiePie takes shots at Logan Paul’s Flat Earth ‘documentary’ – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes shots at Logan Paul’s Flat Earth ‘documentary’ PewDiePie, Logan Paul Vlogs – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg threw shade toward Logan Paul after being made to wear his merch in a previous video – and now, he’s taking even more shots at the YouTuber. PewDiePie appeared to jokingly mock Paul’s recent Flat Earth ‘documentary’ in a video on March 23, where he reviewed funny images captured on Google Maps’ Street View. “Some people – some dumb-balls – still think the Earth is flat,” PewDiePie began, showing a photo of Logan Paul in the background. “My god. How can you be so stupid? Logan Paul, that’s right – disappointed.” This isn’t the first time Kjelleberg has thrown shade toward Paul, either; he likewise appeared to take shots at the YouTuber after “agreeing” to wear an article of Maverick merchandise in exchange for Paul’s help in fending off T-Series. PewDiePie had admitted to giving Paul the address to a Swedish craft shop, rather than his home address – and even compared his efforts to those of Markiplier, who came to his aid in an emergency livestream just at T-Series appeared to take the victory. [Timestamp: 2:05 for mobile viewers] Paul has since revealed his controversial Flat Earth ‘mockumentary,’ which duped users across the internet after being advertised as a serious, in-depth look into the Flat Earth community. Instead, Paul’s ‘documentary’ plays out more like a lengthy comedy sketch, including some hilarious moments mixed in with faux-dramaticized cuts (a la Shane Dawson’s famed docuseries). After Paul’s project went live, the director of the Flat Earth International Conference appeared to take issue with the film, claiming that he had been “punked” into letting Paul document the event. “Another thing that he outright lied about was the fact that he was going to be doing a documentary,” the organizer said of the film. “…quite honestly, I was punked. I was duped.” the flat earthers have spoken :gasp: we’re gonna do a “tell all” video soon. y’all got any questions about the documentary you want answered? pic.twitter.com/r77B6AnNtg— Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) March 23, 2019 Paul himself claimed to have “gone undercover” to become “one with the Flat Earthers” for the project, and even teased being a Flat Earther, himself – although it doesn’t look like he’ll be welcomed into their fold anytime soon.

PewDiePie Takes Another Shot at Alinity After Racial Slur and Admitting She Received Twitch Favors – Dexerto
PewDiePie Takes Another Shot at Alinity After Racial Slur and Admitting She Received Twitch Favors The on going dispute between YouTuber PewDiePie and Twitch streamer Alinity looked to be settled, but recently has sparked again, prompting PewDiePie to make a second video addressing the situation. The dispute began following a video in which PewDiePie called Alinity and other female streamers ‘Twitch thots’, which Alinity responded to by threatening to ‘copy strike’ the video. Clearly, PewDiePie’s video was protected on the grounds of fair use, given that it featured his own commentary and was ‘transformative’, but nonetheless he claims it did receive a copyright claim from Alinity’s agent, which was later removed. In the aftermath, Alinity said live on stream that making (largely false) copyright claims on videos with her content was a form of monthly income for her, stating that the agency, CollabDRM, had sent her approximately $700 last month. This sparked outrage amongst the community, and PewDiePie made his first response video following. He apologized for his use of the term ‘thot’, but was also heavily critical of Alinity’s blatant contempt for copyright law. Alinity later posted a statement accusing PewDiePie of being ‘sexist’ in front of what she claimed was an impressionable young audience. In response, PewDiePie has now released a new video, much more scathing than the first, in which he highlights Alinity’s very sexually suggestive stream content, her recent use of the N word (and subsequent preferential treatment from Twitch) – and even a suggestion that she broke Canadian immigration laws. A summary of PewDiePie’s main points from his video is presented below. “There’s this one clip, where she very publicly admits to committing marriage fraud. That she moved to Columbia and married this guy, just so she could move to Canada.” She then very publicly admits that she’s been getting special favors from Twitch. […] Maybe this is the problem, she’s never been forced to be held accountable for her actions. Twitch, like she says, has been giving her favors: ‘Oh Alinity, you broke the terms of service, just delete this video and we’ll just move on’. When they are so strict on Twitch with these sort of rules, and people get banned all the time for this sort of thing. And, on the very same live stream – I swear to God she’s just showing off that she’s untouchable at this point – she drops the N word. Twitch have very strict rules, people get banned all the time for this sort of thing, or at least, they have been very harsh on guys. Saying the N word in this context, it didn’t seem that bad. But then, for her to say ‘I can say the N word, because I’m 10% black’, and justifying it. Twitch has shown a clear bias for female streamers on the platform for a long time.” You can watch the full video, entitled “BAN PEWDIEPIE”, below, with his new points beginning at around the 5:18 minute mark.

PewDiePie takes Minecraft series to next level with music video – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes Minecraft series to next level with music video YouTube – you don’t become the most subscribed YouTuber for nothing – and now, he has elevated his Minecraft series even further with a music video that has gone instantly viral. Minecraft saw somewhat of a revival in recent months, especially with popular streamers and content creators looking for an alternative to Fortnite during the latter seasons of Chapter 1. PewDiePie, being the character that he is, capitalized greatly on the regenerated popularity of the sandbox video game, garnering millions of views on every video released of him playing. Unfortunately, for fans of his Minecraft series, he brought it to an end, after defeating a major boss. Read More: Minecraft content to the next level with an instantly-viral music video, performed by himself, called Mine All Day. In the video, he is characterized in Minecraft’s signature blocky style while rapping, flexing about his multiple in-game possessions, with lines such as “Bet you don’t have this blue, bet you don’t have this green,” referencing his diamond and emerald ores, two of the rarest in the game. In the second half of the video, it reverts to PewDiePie in real-life, where he starts discussing his real-world possessions with a change in flow and beat with lines like “I’m bored of being at the peak, so time to see what lies beneath.” The video was uploaded on October 23 and, at the time of publication on October 24, it has received almost 7 million views – a number many YouTubers wouldn’t reach in a lifetime – and was in YouTube’s top trending videos. Finishing the song with the line “Remember kids, life isn’t fair. Take it from the second Swedish Minecraft multi-millionaire,” PewDiePie reminds viewers that he is ultra-successful, while also paying homage to Minecraft developer and fellow Swede Markus Perrson. Mine All Day isn’t PewDiePie’s first music video: he also saw a lot of success with works such as ‘B***h Lasagna’ and ‘Congratulations’, which have picked up over 370 million views between them. –

PewDiePie and T-Series settle lawsuit over “racist” YouTube diss tracks – Dexerto
PewDiePie and T-Series settle lawsuit over “racist” YouTube diss tracks YouTube: PewDiePieNumber one YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has reportedly settled a lawsuit with Indian production company and record label T-Series, following a legal battle over supposedly ‘racist’ diss tracks made by the Swedish video maker. Throughout late 2018 and early 2019, Kjellberg and T-Series were locked in a seemingly endless battle for YouTube superiority, as PewDiePie attempted to keep his spot as the number one most subscribed YouTuber. After fending off the Indian corporation, PewDiePie finally admitted defeat with the sarcastically titled ‘Congratulations’, his second diss track aimed at T-Series, following his first, entitled “Bitch Lasagna.” Both diss tracks were blocked in India following a court order in April 2019, after T-Series obtained an injunction from the Delhi High Court, in which the judge described the tracks as “abusive, vulgar and racist.” T-Series and PewDiePie settle over diss tracks A new court filing from July, obtained by Business Insider, shows that T-Series and PewDiePie have come to a settlement, although the parties are yet to sign an agreement. “The 15 July filing states the two have settled, but haven’t signed an agreement. T-Series did not respond to a request for further detail,” the report states. In PewDiePie’s Congratulations song, he even alludes to having received a notice of cease and desist from T-Series, relating to his first ‘Bitch Lasagna’ diss track. Both videos remain blocked to YouTube users in India, but they are available in other countries worldwide. T-Series has since taken a commanding lead in the subscriber battle, surpassing the 100 million mark first. PewDiePie still holds the record for the most subscribers on a channel for an individual creator. In an interview with Business Insider, T-Series President Neeraj Kalyan stated that there was “no hard feelings” towards PewDiePie, saying “he’s great. We wish him all the best.” However, the diss tracks in question did undeniably contain some direct insults towards T-Series, and although Kjellberg appeared to be making the comments in jest, it has been taken more seriously by the Delhi High Court.

PewDiePie takes aim at the TikTok app again – Dexerto
PewDiePie takes aim at the TikTok app again Popular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg continues to be confused by the rise of TikTok, the latest video sharing app to sweep the internet. After posting a video reacting to some cringey TikTok videos on October 9, PewDiePie has come back with yet another video in which he tries to come to grips with the app’s popularity. Even though he still doesn’t understand why TikTok exists in the first place, he is nonetheless able to have some fun watching clip after clip. TikTok is a video sharing app that follows in the footsteps of Musical.ly and Vine that allows users to make short clips with different special effects and filters. The app reportedly boasts a user base of over 500 million monthly active users worldwide and became the most downloaded app on iOS in the first quarter of 2018 with an estimated 45.8 million downloads. Despite so many users posting videos on a daily basis, the most subscribed man on YouTube starts off being incredibly confused about the motivation behind the videos posted on the platform. “Why?! Why?! I still have no answer to my question, ”PewDiePie yells early on in his video. “Why do all these kids record [these videos] to begin with?!” Battling through his confusion, PewDiePie ends up finding some positives in the existence of the service. “In a way, we should be thankful to TikTok because TikTok saved us from Musical.ly [integrating] with YouTube,” says PewDiePie on the service’s 2017 merger with Musical.ly. By the end of the video, PewDiePie eventually comes around to enjoy the service despite his initial hesitations. “TikTok. I love it! You know what, I never thought I would actually say that,” PewDiePie says towards the end of the video. While PewDiePie might have some strong feelings about other areas of the internet, it looks like TikTok has escaped his judgment for the time being.

PewDiePie surprises wife Marzia with “beautiful” Valentine’s Day gift – Dexerto
PewDiePie surprises wife Marzia with “beautiful” Valentine’s Day gift PewDiePie – InstagramFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg celebrated Valentine’s Day by surprising his wife Marzia with a very special gift. The YouTube star has been making the most of his break from the platform after years of daily uploads. Fans have gotten glimpses on how he’s been spending his vacation, whether it’s performing karaoke, or hanging out at the arcade. Marzia and PewDiePie celebrated their marriage in 2019, and for their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, the YouTuber decided to surprise his wife with a bundle of gifts. On Marzia’s Instagram story, she revealed he gave her a Tiffany & Co. ring, a card, and even prepared breakfast in bed. “The mad lad surprised me with breakfast in bed, a lovely card and a beautiful ring,” she said. PewDiePie has been spoiling Marzia with presents for years, considering they have been a couple since 2011, but this one was even more special since they’re married now. If the star YouTuber was still making videos, this would have surely been something that would have made for some good content, considering the pair’s wedding video was one of his most popular uploads of 2019. Now nearing a month since his departure from the video platform, fans still don’t have a good idea of when PewDiePie will return, but there have been some hints indicating it can be sooner rather than later. He is back in the United Kingdom after spending time in Japan, so his setup is right there waiting for him whenever he wants to get back to the grind. He even broke his month-long Instagram hiatus with a selfie on February 14, which was subsequently. In his absence, his fan-run subreddit, r/PewDiePieSubmissions, has descended into chaos as it briefly turned into both a gardening and cooking forum. It’s clear his viewers are running out of patience as his break continues, so fans just have to hope he’s back soon so everything can go back to normal.

PewDiePie makes surprising discovery after checking out his YouTube stats – Dexerto
PewDiePie makes surprising discovery after checking out his YouTube stats PewDiePie, Logan Paul Vlogs – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is the most subscribed independent creator on the video platform, boasting over 96 million subscribers in wake of his long-running battle with T-Series: but now, the Swede is worried that his channel is losing traction. Kjellberg took a close look at his analytics in a video on June 15, where he jokingly claimed that his channel was “dying,” and was even prepared for his YouTube career to end at any moment. “I think it’s interesting to note…. Anyone that came before me, almost every single channel that has come before me has just disappeared,” PewDiePie explained. “…because of this fact, I’ve always looked at YouTube like it could end any day. Like I should be ready to pack my bags at any day.” [Timestamp: 2:00 for mobile viewers] Kjellberg examined his stats throughout the years, taking note of his ups and downs in relation to the multiple scandals that have cropped up in his career – taking special care to point out how far his numbers had dropped after he’d begged fans to end the “Subscribe to PewDiePie” meme in late April. That’s not all; PewDiePie even noticed that YouTube stars Jake and Logan Paul had skyrocketed past his own fame on the platform, especially in relation to Logan Paul’s international debacle at Japan’s Aokigahara ‘Suicide Forest’ in early 2018. “Jake Paul has technically been bigger than I have ever been,” PewDiePie exclaimed. “…Holy shit, that’s nuts. So, the ‘Suicide Forest’ was literally four times as big as the PewDiePie vs T-Series stuff. That’s nuts.” Despite these trends, Kjellberg was adamant that his subscriber count “doesn’t matter” to him, noting the unique mental health issues YouTubers encounter due to keeping track of their statistics in relation to other creators on the site. 600PewDiePie lost the mantle of YouTube’s “most subscribed” channel in late March, after Bollywood label T-Series finally surpassed the Swede in spite of their famous struggle. While T-Series might hold YouTube’s crown, PewDiePie still reigns as the site’s most popular independent creator – but these titles aren’t massively important to him, as evidenced by his statement about his analytics.

PewDiePie’s new target for Area 51-style raid might surprise you – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s new target for Area 51-style raid might surprise you YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has floated an idea for the internet’s next big ‘raid’ after Area 51 – and it might just surprise you where’s he chosen to go. Back in June, the Storm Area 51 meme spread across the internet like wildfire as millions of people around the world flooded to a Facebook page to confirm their attendance. The plan seemed simple – head to Area 51, storm the gates, and uncover some of the world’s apparent deepest secrets in the form of aliens. While it didn’t quite go to plan, with a few hundred people turning up and taking photos with the guards instead of storming the base, it still took the interest of PewDiePie who dropped a video explaining why the fail was actually a “win,” before asking fans about what could be ‘raided’ next. As he followed up on the video via his Twitter, the YouTube star asked his 18.8 million followers when they were heading to the Vatican and storming there too. “Vatican raid, when?,” he said on September 26, prompting plenty of responses from fans who had jokes about uncovering Jesus playing and some who even had their own ideas of where to ‘raid’ next instead. “When is the NASA raid happening? There is so many possibilities you can even imagine,” asked one fan, clearly sticking with the route of uncovering secrets from outer space just like Area 51. Another, though, had the idea of raiding a fictional part of the world – Pandora – seeing as Borderlands 3 released on September 13. When is the NASA raid happening?? There is so many possibilities you can even imagine— Aaron (@Aaron37077021) September 26, 2019 A further, clearly joking idea, came from fellow YouTube Kevin Lieber, who noted that the search of the Vatican could happen to “discover if popes are real.” While PewDiePie was probably joking and just stoking the internet meme fire, it will be interesting to see if anyone decides to follow up on the Area 51 memes with another attempt to go viral. Who knows, we could see people storming the North Pole in a bid to find Santa Claus, or even the first video of the Bermuda Triangle. The ‘raid’ possibilities are truly endless.

PewDiePie surprised by Mr Beast’s Team Trees planting update – Dexerto
PewDiePie surprised by Mr Beast’s Team Trees planting update PewDiePie, YouTube / Mr Beast, InstagramInternet philanthropist Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson brought the net together to plant 20 million trees before 2020 — and YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg decided to check up on the project months later, discovering surprising results. Mr Beast celebrated his 20 million subscriber milestone by launching a charitable project to plant a whopping 20 million trees, seeing donations from such names as Ninja, Jeffree Star, and even Tesla CEO Elon Musk. After successfully reaching his goal in early December, the star teased even bigger projects in the future — but what about the results of his viral Team Trees initiative? PewDiePie was in the middle of a LWIAY video when he came across a fan suggestion in his subreddit, which recommended that Mr Beast provide fans with an update video regarding his tree-planting enterprise. “Please, Mr Beast — the B to the East,” he joked about the matter. “Show us the trees!” Curious about the project’s development, PewDiePie checked his email for an update — and was pleasantly surprised by what he found. The YouTuber shared a video from Team Trees uploaded on February 27, showing North Carolina park rangers and staff planting trees around Bladen Lakes State Forest, which had been affected by severe flooding from 2018’s Hurricane Florence. Rangers explained that the Park is considered a high-risk area, as it is often affected by natural disasters that inhibit older growth — making Mr Beast and the Arbor Day Foundation’s joint initiative a massive help to the area. Needless to say, it seems like Kjellberg was rather impressed by the Foundation’s efforts, giving a short congratulations to his fellow YouTuber. “Keep planting those trees!” he urged. (Topic begins at 6:32 for mobile readers) Although he jokingly called the star a “simp” earlier in his video (thanks to his impressive Valentine’s Day gift for his girlfriend), Mr Beast and PewDiePie are on good terms, with Mr Beast having historically led the charge in his battle against T-Series in 2018. Now, the YouTuber is creating even bigger and better content than ever before — and making the world a better place one video at a time.

PewDiePie subreddit descends into chaos during his YouTube break – Dexerto
PewDiePie subreddit descends into chaos during his YouTube break YouTube: PewDiePie / RedditIn the midst of Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg taking his 2020 break from YouTube, the Swede’s subreddit has hilariously descended into chaos. From cooking to gardening memes, the community is a little bit lost without their king. In December 2019, the popular YouTuber announced he would be taking a short break from creating content in 2020, stating he was “tired.” While the Swedish personality is recouping, his forum over on Reddit has found interesting ways to pass the time. PewDiePie’s signature show Last Week I Asked You had him reacting to memes posted on his subreddit. But now r/PewdiepieSubmissions has been overtaken by bizarre-themed memes as they use humor to soften the blow of their favorite creator’s absence. PewDiePie’s subreddit goes awry Feeling the withdrawal of the absence of Pewds’ YouTube content, his subreddit has found hilarious ways to pass the time. While the forum has usually been a place for his fans to post the top memes for him to react to, now it’s become a tug of war between varied themes. The Reddit community first began posting about cooking – because why not? A flood of submissions began revolving around the culinary arts, which user ‘Potatochu_OwO’ captured with a Danny Devito meme. The Swede’s fans responded to the post, and exclaimed that his break has felt much longer than it’s actually been. User ‘VirtualNK’ stated in shock, “It’s only been 14 days? Felt like 2 months,” to which ‘Gnostic28’ replied, “How much longer must we wait?” Other users posted actual pictures of food they had created such as ‘Peto6421’s stellar brofist cake. The mods seem on board with the movement, even declaring on January 31, “With 2.5 MILLION subscribers, r/Pewdiepiesubmissions is the LARGEST cooking subreddit! Congratulations! (next week we’re turning into a gardening subreddit, stay tuned).” Like the tides of the ocean, soon the forum washed away their love for cooking, and have set their sights on their next obsession – gardening. Sticking to the newly ordained theme, ‘ChisTurtle’ posted a hilarious photoshop of Felix riding a John Deer tractor. One of the posts was even directed at the YouTuber, and admitted that he must be confused when reading their garden style posts. “Felix is probably checking the subreddit [right now] and he is confused,” it read. The Swedish YouTube star amassed over 103 million followers on the platform, making him the largest individual content creator. Only time will tell when PewDiePie will be making his glorious return. However, his short absence is clearly missed if fan reaction on his subreddit is any indication.

PewDiePie stunned over YouTube channel that could pass him & T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned over YouTube channel that could pass him & T-Series YouTube: PewDiePieFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was shocked when he learned about a new YouTube channel that is gaining subscribers at an unprecedented rate. The Swede jokingly called on T-Series to “join forces” with him to stop the popular kid’s program. PewDiePie is the top individual content creator on YouTube with 105 million subscribers, although in 2019, T-Series infamously passed him in total numbers after an epic showdown between the two. However during his latest upload, the Swedish star jokingly called for “peace” with the India-based corporation, after discovering a channel could pass both of them within the next twelve months. PewDiePie stunned by new channel The YouTuber reacted to a channel called ‘Cocomelon’ during his latest upload. The program is for kids, and has been pulling in billions of views on their videos. The star was floored by the insane numbers. “Jesus Christ! 69 million views a day!? And it’s a kids channel!” he exclaimed. Although he actually found it impressive and congratulated them.”Actually, that’s pretty good, Cocomelon. Good job. Good job.” After learning that the channel will pass him at their current rate of growth, he asked T-Series for help. “T-Series, peace!” he said extending his hand out. “We need to join forces to defeat this evil! They are gonna take over both of us, unless we join forces,” he joked. The YouTuber then hilariously envisioned a collaboration between the two. “Indian nursery rhymes, with a little sprinkle of PewDiePie. We’ll be unstoppable!” he laughed. “To put into perspective, they manage to get more views in ten videos than the population of the earth.” (Topic starts at 1:22.) The Swede was, of course, messing around, and cracked a joke about already having lost to T-Series in the past. “I feel like I’m doing the same thing here, making dumb unironic jokes against a company. But we’ve already seen how that went, so I’m not going down that road again.” Despite the possibility of PewDiePie and T-Series being surpassed by the end of the year, the creator’s insane number of views and subs to his channel is still impressive – considering he’s just one individual. In May, the star announced he had signed a major deal with YouTube to stream exclusively on their platform. So far, his live broadcasts have been a big hit, as fans flock to see which game he tackles next.

PewDiePie subjects Jack Black’s Minecraft chicken to endless torture YouTube: PewDiePie, Jablinski Games / Mojang / MicrosoftAfter being banished by his Minecraft dog Sven in the September 9 episode, YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg went off the deep end after he found the culprit he believed to be responsible for the death of his pet’s husband. During the September 9 episode, Sven’s husband met his untimely death and the heartbroken pet banished Pewds off of his land. In his September 14 video, the Swede began to feel the effects of being alone, as he settled into his new life. As the YouTuber contemplated the ways that he would pass the time, he was approached by the chicken he gave to Jack Black in their collaboration video, and it dawned on the Swede that the animal was there the day of the death. PewDiePie tortured Jack Black’s Minecraft chicken “Feigi, what are you doing here? Here to comfort me? Lies. You were there that day, Feigi. Someone needs to be held responsible for what happened. And I know just the trick how to make you talk,” the YouTube star said. In his attempt to get to the truth, Pewds began to exhaustively try to break the chicken and make it confess that it was responsible. He started off by taking the animal down to a torture chamber he had built. “Yes, I’ll make you talk. I’ll make you reveal who finally you are working for,” the Swede said as he escorted the chicken to a torture device. “This could stop any moment. Just tell me who you’re working for.” Hilariously the attempt failed, when the chicken revealed that he liked it, and that it felt like a back massage. Pewds then revealed his true plan, as he fashioned a diabolical torture device using bells. As the sound of bells blared and rang over and over again he screamed “You like this Feigi! Just tell me why you are really here. I know you are lying!” (Timestamp of 02:08 for mobile viewers.) The Swede then turned things up a notch, and suspended the chicken over a pit of fire after repeatedly failing to get the animal to talk. “I’m getting sick of this I’m going to have to use more desperate means of negotiation!” he exclaimed, after setting fire beneath him. “Is there no getting through to you?!” He then turned to his last resort and decided to just throw it off a massive tower, only to immediately regret it when he realized it had designed a fire that spelled out “I love you”. Miraculously, the chicken survived, and the YouTube star buried the hatchet with him and the two bonded. The new friendship was short lived however, after the Swede was tricked into giving the animal a diamond which turned him into a massive boss that attacked him. It was soon revealed that Jack Black’s chicken was working for his nemesis Water Sheep. “Feigi, why?! I should have known, you work for Water Sheep!” Read More: xQc shocks viewers with crazy dance moves – Pewds then struck him down for good, before making the journey back to his base. On a more positive note, Sven accepted him back, ending his banishment, and relieving him of his temporary insanity. PewDiePie continues his reign as his Minecraft series is more popular more than ever. As of the time of this article, the YouTube king boasts over 101 million subscribers.

PewDiePie stunned by how “weird” he was in old videos – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned by how “weird” he was in old videos YouTube: PewDiePieDuring his December 2 upload, popular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg reacted to past content from his entire career. The Swede was taken back by how “weird” he was in older videos. For many, PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment for the last decade. With over 108 million subscribers in 2020, the 31-year-old is one of the most popular YouTubers in the world. In his latest upload, he decided to take a look back at his past videos, and was stunned at just how “weird” some of his older videos could sometimes get. PewDiePie realizes how weird his old content was Fans of PewDiePie know that over the years, the star has had many “phases” in his career. From horror games to being a meme connoisseur, the content creator has had an incredibly varied output of content. However during his December 2 upload, he was floored by how “weird” he could actually be in his past videos. “I never realized how weird I am. Seeing all this, it’s like what the f**k is wrong with me, dude?” he exclaimed before breaking into laughter. He had the revelation while watching a clip compilation of his entire career which were taken “out of context.” The 31-year-old watched several more compilations that chronicled his YouTube channel from 2010 to 2020, before he came to a realization. “I’ve shot a lot of weird videos,” he said. Pewds then became baffled after multiple fans called him “the neighbor’s kid” due to his past behavior. The term is a reference to a meme which describes a kid in your neighborhood that acts weird or annoying. (Topic starts at 05:58) After seeing multiple moments from past uploads, he broke into laughter and admitted, “You know maybe I am the neighbors kid. It’s kind of fun to revisit [my past content].” While PewDiePie’s past content has certainly been more outlandish then recent years, the entertainer is still crushing it on YouTube. In May, he signed a major deal to stream exclusively on the Google-owned platform, which has been a major hit with fans.

PewDiePie stunned after horror game playthrough goes terribly wrong – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned after horror game playthrough goes terribly wrong YouTube: PewDiePie / Supermassive GamesFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg made his return to playing horror games on August 27, after becoming the first person to play ‘Man of Medan’ from Supermassive Games. But things went horribly wrong for the YouTube star… Man of Medan is the highly anticipated follow up to Supermassive Games’ ‘Until Dawn’, which was a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2015. The interactive narrative horror game is a part of the studio’s ‘Dark Pictures Anthology’ as they took their work multiplatform to include PS4, Xbox One, and PC. PewDiePie is making his way through the entire game for his YouTube audience, and on the latest episode of the series on September 2, the Swede’s mistakes and mishaps left him stunned as things went horribly wrong. (Names of characters and plot details are left vague to avoid any spoilers.) Man of Mistakes At the start of his playthrough, the YouTuber warned his audience that the story would have more stakes at the current point in the game, and that he didn’t want to mess up. “It’s getting real now. This is where people die, and I don’t want to mess up,” he said. Almost immediately after saying this, PewDiePie found himself in an intense situation, and he started to fumble the button prompts, leaving him to slap his forehead in disbelief. The mistakes led to a character dying, which frustrated him. “I like how I just went against everything I said. Are you kidding me? Are you freaking kidding me? How am I so dumb?! I’m like a self-fulfilling prophecy of dumbness!” the YouTube star raged. Later on in the game, the Swede’s mistakes began to pile up. In a pivotal moment, a button prompt asked the YouTuber to press a button rapidly, which he seemed to miss as he failed the quick time event spectacularly, leading to yet another death. The YouTube king was stunned, as he couldn’t believe he had messed up the prompt. He put his hands over his head, before shaking it back and forth in disbelief. “I had to tap it. I didn’t see that at all!” he raged, before punching his fist on the table repeatedly. “God fucking damnit! I’m pissed! You had to tap it! They didn’t give you enough time for that. Come on!” (Timestamp of 37:18 for mobile viewers.) PewDiePie has a history playing horror games Fans have been thrilled with PewDiePie’s latest series, as many were first introduced to his channel through his ‘Amnesia: The Dark Descent’ playthroughs in 2012 where he screamed at barrels, so this has been a long awaited return to the horror genre. In an update vlog on August 18, the Swede had said that playing horror games for people was the first time he fell in love with YouTube, and knew that he wanted to do it as a career. PewDiePie hit his 100 million subscriber milestone on August 25, after marrying his girlfriend of 8 years Marzia ‘CutiePie’ Bisognin on August 19. The YouTube star gained a surge in popularity after starting his Minecraft series in July, and has promised a 12-hour stream of the game once he returns from his honeymoon.

PewDiePie stunned after fans recreate his hometown in jaw-dropping Minecraft map – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned after fans recreate his hometown in jaw-dropping Minecraft map YouTube: PewDiePie, PippinFTS / Reddit: u/WigitMigitYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was left speechless after discovering a brilliant Minecraft map his fans had created of his hometown in Gothenburg, Sweden. At 110 million subs, PewDiePie is YouTube’s most-subscribed independent content creator. Thanks to his humorous content, the influencer has created a slew of viral trends over the years — and even helped revive one of the most popular sandbox games of all time. It’s no secret that PewDiePie’s widely-viewed Minecraft YouTube series helped bring the game back into the limelight after its full release in 2011. In the past two years, the Minecraft scene has seen an explosion in popularity, bringing names like TommyInnit and Dream into the limelight. As such, it stands to reason that PewDiePie’s fanbase might honor his Minecraft exploits with fanart, songs and other such art forms — but one fan group took their appreciation to the next level by completely recreating Kjellberg’s hometown in a detailed, 1:1 scale Minecraft map. The Swedish YouTuber ran into the artists’ painstakingly accurate model during a June 23 Reddit reaction video… and it’s safe to say he was stunned. “That’s sick!” he said, completely awestruck. “Woah! No f**king way! I gotta try this out! Is there a download?” Kjellberg went on to call the construction an “impossible” feat, but the sweeping view of the cityscape wasn’t the most impressive part of the map’s showcase. The artists, a Minecraft creator by the name ‘PippenFTS’ and their friend group, even recreated Kjellberg’s childhood home, leaving the Swede completely shocked. (Topic begins at 5:46) “What? That’s so trippy!” he laughed. “Holy s**t! This is blowing my mind! No f**king way! Oh my god… well done. That’s insane.” It’s not every day that a group of Minecrafters faithfully recreate a historic city with a population of a half-million people — but considering the sheer amount of creativity Minecraft has allowed its players to express in the past, this instance comes as the latest, wholesome installment of innumerable exploits in a game that continues to produce unforgettable moments.

PewDiePie stunned by Daily Dose Of Internet predicting his YouTube success a decade ago – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned by Daily Dose Of Internet predicting his YouTube success a decade ago YouTube: PewDiePiePopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was left floored when a message from fellow content creator Daily Dose Of Internet resurfaced 10 years later. The variety clip channel’s prediction of the Swede’s success was scarily accurate. With over 109 million subscribers to his channel in 2021, PewDiePie is undisputedly the biggest individual content creator on YouTube. Kjellberg couldn’t have imagined in 2010 that he would go from his humble roots in Sweden to becoming one of the world’s most popular entertainers. The 31-year-old was stunned then when an old message from YouTuber Daily Dose Of Internet from in 2011 predicted his mind-blowing success. The clips channel went viral on March 3 after their decade-old message showed belief in the Swede’s talent 10 years before anyone else. PewDiePie reacts to viral message predicting YouTube success The YouTuber reacted to Daily Dose Of Internet’s message from 2011 after it went viral on Twitter. He read the incredible prediction out loud during his March 8 upload: “10 years ago I messaged PewDiePie when he had 40,000 subscribers. I told him he would be famous one day. He didn’t believe me. PewDiePie was surprised by the wholesome message and explained why it meant a lot to him. “It’s cool to see this because I got a lot of messages from people saying “you will be very big one day!” … I never believed them but it still made me feel like “Yeah, come on! Let’s go!” he said. “2011! Yeah, 10 years ago. Holy s**t. F**king blew my mind.” He also gave props to the variety clips channel, which has seen an explosion in popularity in 2021. “He messaged me with words of encouragement, and he now has 11 million subs. Good on you.” (Topic starts at 2:10) Daily Dose Of Internet originally made the tweet on March 3, revealing that he had contacted Kjellberg in April 2011. At the time, Pewds wrote back and said “Haha im so not the next [Swedish star]. I cant add ppl to skype, it’ll be a MESS xD. You can msg me through steamgroup or here anything you want thou.” 10 years ago, I messaged @PewDiePie when he had 40,000 subscribers. I told him he would be famous one day. The channel is often featured on Twitch as popular streamers like to watch the viral content with their viewers.

PewDiePie still gaining subs on YouTube break as he hits another milestone – Dexerto
PewDiePie still gaining subs on YouTube break as he hits another milestone YouTube: PewDiePieTop YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg is currently on his first significant break from daily uploads in years, but the move doesn’t appear to be costing him subscribers. Any successful YouTuber will preach that consistency is key, and this mentality has led to constant daily uploads from small to big channels alike. Ensuring there is always fresh content appearing on your subscriber’s home pages is crucial to keep them coming back, but it looks like PewDiePie might be bucking that trend. Despite not uploading for over two weeks, new subscribers are still pouring in. Of course, it’s not like he needs any more, with a whopping 103 million already, but it’s a fascinating statistic nonetheless. The Swedish YouTuber gained subscribers at a rapid pace in late 2018 and early 2019, spurred on by his rivalry with T-Series, to reach 100 million first. At times, he was gaining over 200,000 subscribers every day. Since taking his break, the growth hasn’t been anywhere near as fast as this. But, in the two weeks since his break, PewDiePie’s channel is still gaining 33,000 new subs a day, on average, according to statistics from SocialBlade. His last video before the break was uploaded on January 15. Since January 19, he has gained an average of 233,000 subscribers each week, for the final two weeks of January. He has even hit a new milestone while on his break, cracking 103 million subs on January 26, with almost half a million new subs since taking a hiatus. According to SocialBlade’s estimates, he will reach the next million-sub milestone at around the same date in February, but fans will be hoping that he returns to uploading before then. It’s not all good news though, as his raw video views have taken a big hit, down from 6.8 million on January 18, to 3.5 million on January 31 (via StatSheep). But, this is inevitable when not uploading any fresh content. Before taking his break, Pewds may have worried that it might cost his channel growth. This is often the fear that binds YouTubers to a grueling regiment of uploading nearly every day, and can cause burnout. Linus Tech Tips, another massive channel, although much smaller than PewDiePie, with 10 million subs, is another YouTuber who has expressed the burnout. Linus revealed that he had even been considering total retirement in an emotional livestream. Perhaps other YouTubers can take a leaf out of PewDiePie’s book, and avoid burnout by taking a much-needed rest. And, if they’re lucky like him, it might not affect their sub count as much as they fear it will.

PewDiePie stunned after custom Minecraft Creeper PC arrives broken – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned after custom Minecraft Creeper PC arrives broken YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was left shocked and confused when his insane custom Minecraft Creeper PC made by Linus Tech Tips arrived damaged. Popular Tech YouTuber Linus Sebastian surprised PewDiePie at the end of March when he revealed he had built him a mind blowing Minecraft PC in the shape of a Creeper. However, during his April 19 episode of Last Week I Asked You, the Swedish star’s unboxing quickly went south when he discovered that the custom device had been severely damaged in shipping. PewDiePie’s custom Minecraft PC arrives broken In his latest upload, the YouTuber revealed that he had finally received the custom Minecraft PC made by Linus Tech Tips. It then cut to him unboxing the device. “Damn she look good, not gonna lie. Look at that, that’s insane!” he said upon seeing the Creeper PC tower. However after taking it out of the shipping container, he quickly noticed something was wrong when he saw components in the back dangling. “Uh, I don’t think that’s supposed to happen,” he said, before grimacing and stating, “It’s okay I know how to fix computers.” The Swede then tried to set it up and told his wife “I think it will work!” before joking “It might just explode!” The camera then zoomed in on the loose motherboard and revealed the extent of the damage. “Look at that dent. How did it get that in that box? Look at that! That’s awful. Creeper, what did they do to you? Oh my God.” (Timestamp 18:29 for mobile users.) The unboxing video abruptly ended before Pewds even attempted to turn it on. Although based on those dents, it seems as if the custom PC took quite the beating. Linus himself reacted to the unfortunate news on social media and explained how he’s had fears about shipping computers in the past due to potential damage – which unfortunately seemed to come true this time. “Look what happened to Pewdiepie’s Creeper PC even tho we custom crated it 🙁 THIS is why I have PTSD from the things I’ve seen happen to computers in shipping…” he tweeted on April 19. Dents aside, the Swedish entertainer seemed genuinely blown away by the custom made Creeper. Since he’s the king of YouTube and Minecraft, it’s perfect for his pro gamer needs.

PewDiePie speaks out on Pokimane’s copy strike scandal – Dexerto
PewDiePie speaks out on Pokimane’s copy strike scandal PewDiePie, YouTube / Pokimane, TwitterYouTube’s biggest creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has spoken out about the scandal surrounding popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, after she claimed a YouTube video on the grounds of copyright infringement. Pokimane came under fire after claiming the video of a smaller YouTuber, which covered a Twitter beef between herself and Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem from early November in 2018. Pokimane has since addressed the issue in an interview with YouTuber ‘Fainted,’ where she discussed showing the Instagram page of another YouTuber by the name of ‘Davcev’ on her stream for re-uploading her content to the platform, among other allegations. PewDiePie has since given his opinion on the interview, after calling out Pokimane’s initial copy strike in a video on January 11. Pewds shot back at Pokimane’s argument that “non-transformative” videos using her content should be removed, claiming that she – and many other popular streamers – do the same with YouTube videos. “…Why should you take down videos that you deem are ‘non-transformative,’ when you have content yourself that is arguably not transformative at all?” Pewds asked, noting that Pokimane had played one of his videos while taking a bathroom break during a previous stream. However, PewDiePie did acknowledge that streamers are often live for hours at a time, understanding that not all of their content can be “original” in such a setting. Pokimane admitted that she does strike re-uploads of her content at times, as well as videos with “gross or misleading titles,” as stated in a video addressing the issue on January 12.

PewDiePie speaks out on Logan Paul’s “going gay” controversy PewDiePie, Logan Paul – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has spoken out on the controversy surrounding YouTuber Logan Paul, who claimed that he would be “going gay” for the month of March as part of his New Year’s resolution. PewDiePie addressed the issue during an episode of Pew News on January 17, feeling that those angered by Paul’s statement were misunderstanding his intent. “I get kinda why people are upset,” Pewds said of the debacle. “Yes, being homosexual is not a choice – but I also think that’s not what he was saying.” Pewds went on to compare Paul’s statement to such challenges as “No Shave November” and decried the outrage around the incident, which he called a “stupid joke.” “…I don’t know, man,” PewDiePie continued. “‘Male Only March.’ Was that it? It’s such a stupid joke. Is that really worth getting that upset about?” Logan Paul responded to the backlash resulting from ‘Male Only March’ on Twitter shortly after the offending episode went live, claiming that he will further discuss the issue on his ‘imPaulsive’ podcast – as soon as he recovers from his recent tonsillectomy. “Very poor choice of words… my fault,” Paul wrote. “Let’s get together and talk about it on my podcast next week?” Logan isn’t the only Paul brother in hot water, either; Jake Paul has likewise been at the center of controversy, after uploading a contentious video participating in the ‘Bird Box Challenge,’ where he walked into oncoming traffic – and even drove a vehicle – while blindfolded. very poor choice of words… my fault. let’s get together and talk about it on my podcast next week? https://t.co/Ki8RKgMJOO — Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) January 12, 2019

PewDiePie speaks out on Markiplier & Jacksepticeye’s clothing line scandal – Dexerto
PewDiePie speaks out on Markiplier & Jacksepticeye’s clothing line scandal Forbes / YouTubePopular gaming YouTubers Mark ‘Markiplier’ Fischbach and Seán ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin are facing major flak for their latest clothing line – and YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has finally given his two cents on the scandal. Mark and Jack introduced their minimalist clothing line, ‘Cloak,’ on October 19, advertising it as a specialty brand for gamers in comparison to names like ‘Lululemon’ and ‘Nike.’ While many fans praised their latest project, others took issue with the line’s hefty price point and simplistic design scheme. PewDiePie addressed issue during an episode of ‘Pew News’ on December 2, citing his own experience in creating clothing brands and merchandise in solidarity with his contemporaries. He explained that producing ‘ethical’ clothing, such as he and fiance Marzia’s brand, ‘Tsuki,’ warrants a high price point, and argued that those looking for cheaper clothes would end up receiving a cheaper product, overall. “If you want to go to Wal-Mart and buy shirts, just go ahead,” Pewds said. “…it’s not designer, and if you don’t want that, sure, it’s fine, but you’re not gonna get the same quality …or any designs that set it apart.” PewDiePie went on to argue that ‘Cloak’s’ controversial, minimalistic design “sets it apart” from other brands, and noted that the brand’s widespread criticism largely spread from Mark and Jack’s relatively young fanbase. However, other YouTubers have likewise criticized the brand, with Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem being among them. KEEMSTAR accused Mark and Jack of “taking advantage” of their fans, calling the ‘Cloak’ brand, “high-priced bs” in a Tweet on November 29.

PewDiePie slams YouTuber Morgz for “ripping off” Mr Beast’s content – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams YouTuber Morgz for “ripping off” Mr Beast’s content Instagram: Mr Beast/PewDiePie/MorgzYouTube giant Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has lashed out at Morgan ‘Morgz’ Hudson, over allegations he has been stealing content ideas from Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson. There has been something of a feud emerging between Morgz and Mr Beast of late, as the latter accused the British YouTuber of stealing his content ideas back in April. Morgz tweeted that he was in a “bit of a pickle” and “out of video ideas”. In response, Mr Beast hit back by saying: “Don’t worry, I’m about to start uploading more soon.” The implication being that Morgz will simply use Mr Beast’s video ideas for his own channel. Now, PewDiePie has given his thoughts on the situation in a YouTube video uploaded on May 26. 600“Oooh, damn!” PewDiePie exclaimed. “Is that real? That’s savage. I gotta find out if that’s real. Is it real?” He headed over to Mr Beast’s Twitter where he found the tweets from April 1, and went on to evaluate the situation more closely. “So apparently Morgz has been copying his videos way back,” he said. “I didn’t know this was a thing, I just briefly touched on it in one video. I’m like ‘dude is he just copying?’ and I didn’t look into it but apparently it’s a whole thing. It’s like the whole new drama.” He went on to compare the drama to the Tati Westbrook and James Charles drama, and the feud between Tfue and FaZe Clan, arguing that Mr Beast versus Morgz is new YouTube scandal. The video revisits the drama after a May 20 tweet from Morgz asked: “What 24 hour challenge should I do next?” One Twitter user savagely replied with: “Why don’t you ask mrBEAST”. “Like obviously this is blatantly ripping off [Mr Beast],” said PewDiePie, while scrolling through Morgz’ channel. “But at the same time there’s always a thin line between these things, that I think a lot of people look way too much into.” PewDiePie then explained that he doesn’t want to promote any “toxic behaviour” and that people should be “free to make any video they want”. He also analyzed a meme that jokes if Mr Beast planted 20,000,000 trees, Morgz would do the same, and the planet would be better off for it, hence the name of his video.

PewDiePie reveals why he thinks Sonic the Hedgehog is cursed – Dexerto
PewDiePie reveals why he thinks Sonic the Hedgehog is cursed PewDiePie YouTube / ParamountYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg believes Sonic can never be good again and that the character is cursed, citing concerns of the franchise’s quality spanning the last decade and beyond. Sonic the Hedgehog was once a direct competitor to Nintendo’s Mario franchise but has largely fallen off a cliff while Mario has remained popular, despite a few bumps in the road. The quality of the Sonic franchise seems to have peaked around the Dreamcast era and has been struggling the recapture that magic, nearly 20 years later. PewDiePie thinks there’s no hope There’s not a lot of reason to suspect the upcoming Sonic movie will be good if prior video game movie adaptations are anything to go by. Sonic’s initial appearance was blasted by fans online, leading Paramount Studios to announce a complete redo was on the way, but PewDiePie doesn’t sound optimistic. This isn’t his first time making fun of the new Sonic movie either. (Timestamp 4:48) Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast :wrench::victory:️ — Jeff Fowler (@fowltown) May 2, 2019 “You don’t understand, Sonic is cursed,” he says. “This is the best they can do, they had a team of experts and this is the best they can do.” He does have a point as there’s a ton of different ways they could’ve gone with Sonic’s design, his video even shows some of the fan edits that look lightyears better than what the movie currently has. “Sonic has suffered too long,” PewDiePie explains. “Sonic is already dead and there is nothing that can bring him back at this point.” While Sonic is receiving some design changes, it probably won’t change the fact that the movie just probably won’t be very good to begin with. Read More: Twitch accused of double standards after banning streamer for sexually suggestive content – With there arguably being just one good Sonic game this decade in Sonic Mania, it’s clear there’s not much Sonic goodwill left in the world. PewDiePie slams YouTube for removing dislike count: “If it ain’t broke, why fix it?” – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams YouTube for removing dislike count: “If it ain’t broke, why fix it?” YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube has revealed that it will remove the number of dislikes on videos across its platform — but it’s most-subscribed creator, PewDiePie, isn’t a huge fan of this change. After experimenting with hiding the number of dislikes on videos over the past few years, YouTube has officially rolled out a change removing dislike counts across the site. Most notably, YouTube claimed this development was implemented to combat “dislike attacks” and harassment campaigns on its platform. Creators will still be able to view dislike counts on their own videos, and dislikes will still affect user recommendations. This change has sparked a huge conversation across social media, with many viewers and content creators decrying the removal of dislike counts — PewDiePie being one of them. To reduce targeted dislike attacks & their impact on creators (esp on smaller creators), you’ll no longer see a public dislike *count* on YouTube starting today (the dislike button is staying). This comes after lots of research, testing & consideration → https://t.co/mJWDJSSRoG — TeamYouTube (@TeamYouTube) November 10, 2021 PewDiePie boasts the most subscribers out of any independent content creator on YouTube, and is one of the site’s most-subscribed channels overall. The influencer posted his reaction to YouTube’s latest update on November 11, arguing both sides of the issue, but ultimately finding the change unnecessary. PewDiePie explains why removing dislike counts could be a “good” thing At first, PewDiePie played “devil’s advocate” to the site’s new fixture. The YouTuber claimed that he isn’t a fan of random dislikes on arguably “wholesome” content, like charity drives and other positive videos. “Some videos are so nice that no one should be allowed to dislike it!” he argued. He went on to compare YouTube’s lack of a dislike count to other platforms that don’t have a dislike button at all, such as TikTok and Instagram — but noted that, on these sites, one can just scroll away from content they don’t like. The situation on YouTube is markedly different, PewDiePie claimed. PewDiePie argues against YouTube removing dislike counts “On YouTube, it’s an indication of if it’s a good video or not,” he explained. “If you’re looking up a tutorial video and it has 20% or more dislikes, I’m not gonna watch that video. I know it’s a bad tutorial.” On the topic of protecting creators from “dislike attacks,” Pewds found that he had “never seen that.” “Usually, when that happens, it’s when someone’s getting canceled, right?” he mused. “That function already exists. If you’re getting targeted by a ton of dislikes, remove the dislike bar. They’re fixing a problem that already didn’t need to be fixed.” The creator went on to argue the functionality of the site’s dislike button, claiming that users can curate content across the platform by signaling content that isn’t good. “I’m willing to admit, I don’t know what the outcome is gonna be, so there’s no point in really getting pissed off about it,” he concluded. “It remains to be seen, but it’s kind of like, well, if it ain’t broke, why fix it, right?”

PewDiePie slams YouTube after data reveals why he doesn’t trend in the US – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams YouTube after data reveals why he doesn’t trend in the US YouTube / PewDiePie / Coffee BreakYouTuber ‘Coffee Break‘ uploaded a very informative video all about YouTube’s Trending tab and why original content creators are getting shafted, and Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg had some strong words to say about the data. In the video titled ‘What 40,000 Videos Tell Us About The Trending Tab’, Coffee Break goes into great detail about how YouTube seems to favor traditional media such as ESPN, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Ellen Show, rather than content creators. He then specifically talks about PewDiePie, looking into statistics that show why the Swedish-born YouTuber barely trends at all in the United States compared to other countries – even ones where English isn’t their first language. Upon going over CoffeeBreak’s video in his own upload titled ‘KSI is Cancelled’, PewDiePie is clearly bothered by the data concerning content creators and says, “I think generally YouTubers have been seen as something ‘unsafe’, you know? You can’t rest assured that every YouTuber is gonna be consistent with what they put out there in terms of sparking controversy. Generally traditional media is a lot more safe than that and that’s why they’re biased towards it.” PewDiePie then looks over the data on himself, which showed that 45 of his videos trended in Canada, but only one of those trended in the United States. “45. That means 45 times someone at YouTube went “PewDiePie? Get him out of here! Oh my God, that’s amazing,” the Swedish-born YouTuber laughs. “It’s about what YouTube deems ‘safe’ content. I wonder how 44 of my videos… like what were those videos that were deemed unsafe if that was the case?” “Just delete the Trending tab, please, I’m sick of hearing about it. What’s the point? It’s just making people pissed off.” (Timestamp of 10:50 for mobile viewers) It’s easy to see why PewDiePie is concerned about the way YouTube handles their Trending tab, not only for himself but for other YouTubers as well, as it does appear that they might have a bias towards traditional media outlets over original content creators.

PewDiePie slams YouTube for release of Logan Paul’s YouTube Red movie – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams YouTube for release of Logan Paul’s YouTube Red movie The current king of YouTube, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has called out the platform for releasing controversial social media personality Logan Paul’s long-shelved YouTube Red movie, The Thinning: New World Order. He noted that Paul’s movie had been placed on hold ten days after the release of his infamously offensive vlog, where he filmed a deceased person in Japan’s Aokigahara ‘suicide forest’ – while Felix’s own show had been canceled just after news broke of his anti-semitic comments in a prank video. “It’s kind of amazing how a billion dollar company can be so inept at leadership,” he stated of the situation’s disparity. “If you want to be taken seriously, you need to apply the same rules for everyone.” Felix also called out YouTube’s statement regarding the movie’s release, which claimed that the company had decided to publish the film ‘out of fairness to the fans who have been asking for the sequel.’ “Thank you, YouTube, for your fairness,” he said sarcastically. However, he expressed a sympathy for Logan Paul’s situation, claiming that he hadn’t wanted his movie to be cancelled despite the controversy surrounding his vlog. “Punish Logan for what he did, punish me for my mistakes, but to punish everyone involved in these projects… they’re so massive, it doesn’t make sense,” he said. “It just isn’t fair to everyone else involved.” He also noted that the difference in treatment between the two YouTubers could stem from PewDiePie’s name being directly attached to his show, Scare PewDiePie. PewDiePie stated that he believes in the YouTube Red program despite this controversy, and feels that the project has ‘a lot of potential.’

PewDiePie slams TellTale Games for sudden closure – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams TellTale Games for sudden closure YouTube’s most-subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, criticized The Walking Dead developers TellTale Games for their sudden closure. The studio released a statement through their Twitter account that announced a ‘majority studio closure,’ which laid off a total of 225 employees – reportedly without severance. Just 25 of their crew currently remain, working on Netflix’s Minecraft series. PewDiePie took issue with this shutdown and expressed sympathy for the studio’s employees, some of whom had relocated cross-country for their positions. “How crazy is that?,” he asked. “Way to keep people in the dark… yes, it sucks that a lot of people lost their jobs, but if this is how [TellTale] treats their employees anyway, then I’m sure they’re going to be better off.” He also stated that he was ‘disappointed’ in the Walking Dead series, feeling that the quality of TellTale’s games had gone downhill in recent years. “I’m upset,” he admitted. “I’m pissed off… they made too many games instead of focusing on their really good ones.” He likewise mourned the death of popular series The Wolf Among Us, stating that fans would never see its return due to “bad decisions.” In addition, Kjellberg criticized the games’ illusion of choice, explaining that while players felt they might have a hand in the games’ outcomes, each TellTale title would end the same way, despite their decisions. He speculated that the reason for TellTale’s shutdown was likely due to this very reason, with players declining to purchase their titles because their actions had no true consequences in-game. “I’m so confident that things could have gone differently.” Many developers have since reached out to offer jobs to TellTale’s laid-off employees, providing a ray of hope in the midst of their unfortunate circumstances – but the issue remains a sore one, as Pewdiepie has noted.

PewDiePie blasts the “cringiest trend” on TikTok – Dexerto
PewDiePie blasts the “cringiest trend” on TikTok YouTube: PewDiePie / TikTokDuring his April 28 upload, YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed what is one of the most annoying aspects about TikTok. The Swedish star hilariously slammed the “cringiest” trend and asked content creators to stop doing it. While PewDiePie was initially skeptical of TikTok, the YouTube king was eventually won over by its variety of entertaining content. Despite his change of heart, however, the 31-year-old still finds certain aspects of the site to be frustrating. During his latest upload, the star explained why he can’t stand a popular video format currently plaguing the social media platform. The Swede went off on the “cringy” trend and jokingly demanded that it needs to be stopped at all costs. PewDiePie calls out “cringey” TikTok trend Although Kjellberg’s experience with TikTok has only continued to improve, the YouTube star still has a few bones to pick with how some videos are made. In particular, he revealed that he can’t stand the site’s “reply” format where creators film themselves “reacting” to something in silence. While watching an example of this during his April 28 upload, he asked, “Why are they pretending like they never seen it?” before mimicking the content creator’s supposedly genuine “scared” reaction. He then yelled out, “SHUT UP STOP REPLYING!” The Swede took aim at the format later on his video after watching a trivia clip about Adam Sandler’s 1995 film Billy Madison. When the YouTuber saw a content creator taking up half the screen and silently watching it, he exclaimed, “Why are you replying? Go away, shush, SHUSH! You’re not supposed to be there!” (Topic starts at 2:32) This isn’t the first time the YouTuber has taken aim at the reply trend either. In his April 20th upload about why he changed his mind on TikTok, he called out the video format and yelled, “WHY! Why do people have to add themselves into… this is fine on its own. We don’t need your stupid face there!” He then told his viewers that while he began to come around to the social media platform, the reply trend makes the site still cringe. “It’s stuff like this that makes TikTok so cringey in my opinion. Another unnecessary person deciding to film themselves. For no reason. Just let the TikTok be. You don’t need to add yourself. I know it’s tempting.” (Topic starts at 7:09) While Pewds let his feelings be known on TikTok’s reply format earlier in the month, the YouTuber hilariously went off on it during his latest upload. So it doesn’t seem likely that the 31-year-old will come around to the trend anytime soon. Read More: How does PewDiePie make money? – Despite the criticisms though, he has warmed up to the social media website – which he attributes to its algorithm getting better at recommending him content that he is interested in. Who knows, maybe the star will eventually start making TikToks of his own.

PewDiePie slams “slimy” attempts to cancel MrBeast over Squid Game recreation – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams “slimy” attempts to cancel MrBeast over Squid Game recreation YouTube: PewDiePie,MrBeast/Squid GameYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg heard about attempts to cancel internet star Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson over his upcoming Squid Game recreation — and it’s safe to say that Pewds wasn’t a fan of the criticism. After posting a TikTok update regarding his previously announced Squid Game YouTube video, MrBeast almost immediately received backlash over the $3.5 million production. Fans of the Korean thriller ridiculed the online creator, commenting that Squid Game’s challenges are “just children’s games” and his rendition of the set “doesn’t even look good.” Others argued that, instead of spending millions of dollars recreating the hit Netflix show, he should use that money to give back to the community or donate to charities. On November 18, PewDiePie reacted to attempts to cancel MrBeast by claiming that he believes people on social media misunderstand a lot of things. PewDiePie slams “slimy” attempts to cancel MrBeast After being asked by a viewer if he had heard about the attempted cancellation of MrBeast, Felix quickly turned his attention to learning about the situation. “There’s no way he’s getting cancelled,” he said. After loading up an article about the kerfuffle, Felix remembered what was going on as he explained: “Oh yeah, people are saying that he should do other things with the money instead of this. Except he does. This is why people shouldn’t have opinions.” He added: “People will pick whatever surface level opinion that they can make to form any form of argument. People purposely misunderstand and skew things to make someone else look bad. It’s so slimy.” Many defending MrBeast have referenced his hugely philanthropic nature; the YouTuber notably created his very own charity, “Beast Philanthropy,” an organization the YouTuber created to help provide food to those in need. This past October, the creator also helped form #TeamSeas, another charity with a goal to clean 30 million pounds of trash out of the world’s oceans. MrBeast has yet to comment on the situation, but he released a tweet on November 17 explaining that his Squid game recreation is still in the editing stage and will soon be uploaded.

PewDiePie slams Streamy Awards for honoring ‘undeserving’ Tana Mongeau – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams Streamy Awards for honoring ‘undeserving’ Tana Mongeau YouTube sensation Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has taken aim at Tana Mongeau and the Streamy Awards, after the controversial vlogger was named ‘content creator of the year’ at the 2019 event. The 2019 Streamy Awards took place on December 13 and looked to highlight the efforts of content creators around the world. With 50 awards in total, the annual show shines the spotlight on all manner of categories from gaming to fashion, nominating a number of popular personalities within each. Taking home the creator of the year award, controversial YouTuber Tana Mongeau was brought up on stage by Casey Neistat in a broadcast that has since been viewed over three million times. Among the viewers was PewDiePie, who disagreed with the selection and had some choice words to say in a December 17 YouTube video of his own. With ten creators nominated for their efforts throughout 2019, this particular Streamy Award category acknowledged the likes of Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. Getting excited over the latter, PewDiePie addressed how he believed that it was “obvious” MrBeast would win the award. “He had such an amazing impact this year, his growth has been insane,” he elaborated. “He’s like the one channel that doesn’t have any big controversy. He’s done good on the platform. Some of the other nominations are good, but it’s obvious MrBeast is gonna win it.” To his surprise, Mongeau was announced as the winner and all the Swedish YouTuber could help but do was highlight what he perceived as flaws in the show overall, reacting sarcastically all the while. “Really nice of Tana to come out in her pajamas,” he joked. “When Tana said ‘I don’t deserve this,’ we all felt that… You literally don’t deserve it, that’s why you feel like that,” he continued. “I hate Tana mainly because she promotes drugs to her 14-year-old audience,” he explained, before showing a brief highlight reel of various cases of such promotion throughout her content. From Adderall to Cannabis the YouTuber with over five million subscribers appears to flaunt her drug use while the cameras are rolling. “That’s creator of the year?” Outlining how his reaction is mostly in jest, he emphasized how he places little significance on award shows of this kind, stating “everyone knows [they] are fake anyways. It’s all politics.” “I literally don’t even keep my awards that I have actually gotten because I don’t feel proud of them, it doesn’t mean anything.” Despite being the channel with the third most subscribers on all of YouTube at just over 102 million, PewDiePie hasn’t been nominated in a single category at the Streamy Awards 2016. Fellow YouTuber Ethan Klein of H3H3 reacted in a similar manner in a since-deleted post, joking that her win was “well deserved.”

PewDiePie slams Naruto x Fortnite: “Some crossovers should never be done” – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams Naruto x Fortnite: “Some crossovers should never be done” YouTube: PewDiePie / Epic Games, Viz MediaYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is not a fan of Fortnite’s collaboration with the popular anime series ‘Naruto,’ claiming that some crossovers should never see the light of day. On November 17, the beloved anime series Naruto made its way to Fortnite. This highly-anticipated collaboration instantly spawned a slew of memes, with many players noting the absurdity of Halo’s Master Chief fighting against Sasuke and Kakashi. This marks the latest in a series of collaborations Fortnite has done with a number of high-ranking IPs and celebrities, with the likes of the Marvel superheroes and even Ariana Grande being among them. However, not everyone is a fan of this never ending string of collaborations — PewDiePie chief among them. The YouTuber, who boasts the most subscribers out of any independent creator on the site, voiced his frustrations on the subject in a November 22 video. PewDiePie slams Fortnite’s collaboration with Naruto “Fortnite is ruining everything that I love!” he joked. “They took Superman. They took Master Chief. And now, they’ve come for my boy Naruto! Why? Why does this exist? Who asked for this?” Read More: How to watch MrBeast’s Squid Game recreation – “The thing is, like, alright, Master Chief. Sure, I loved Halo as a kid. Who didn’t? We all did. But at least he had a gun, right? Cut to this,” PewDiePie added before cutting to a video of Naruto blasting an opponent with an AR, making his point plain. “You know, there’s a lot of pent-up anger here for me, because this has been going on for a while,” he explained. “Sure, I loved Naruto as a kid, but it doesn’t matter now.” The Swedish influencer went on to slam Fortnite’s collaboration with Balenciaga, saying the game was “s**tposting fashion” and that it “ruined” the high-end fashion brand by charging 555 pounds for a white hoodie with the Fortnite logo. Of course, most of PewDiePie’s comments were made in a sarcastic manner — but the Swede made sure to note that, should Fortnite ever collab with IKEA, “it’s over.”

PewDiePie slams RiceGum’s apology for promoting alleged gambling website – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams RiceGum’s apology for promoting alleged gambling website RiceGum, PewDiePie – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is calling out YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le’s apology video, where he addressed his partnership with an alleged gambling and scam website. PewDiePie addressed RiceGum’s controversial involvement with ‘MysteryBrand.net’ in a previous video on January 3, which RiceGum mentioned in his apology video explaining the debacle three days later. Pewds took issue with RiceGum’s apology, calling it “the weakest response ever” and stating that both RiceGum and Jake Paul are solely concerned with money – not the welfare of their younger fans. “Jake Paul and RiceGum don’t give a shit,” PewDiePie said of the issue. “They don’t care. They just want to make money. That’s all that matters to these people.” PewDiePie went on to mock RiceGum’s Amazon gift code giveaway, appearing to legitimately question if the YouTuber was trolling his fans with the offer. “$10 gift cards – that fixes the whole thing!” Pewds said sarcastically. “Imagine saying that you got over $100,000 and spending $500 being like, ‘We’re cool, right?’” PewDiePie likewise noted that both YouTubers have yet to delete their videos promoting the website, speculating that they are contractually obligated to leave them up on their channels in order to get paid from the deal. RiceGum has since found himself at the center of yet another scandal, after YouTuber ‘Good Day Sir’ found that four of the codes he’d offered had already been claimed in May of 2018. While RiceGum has since denied these claims, he has yet to respond to PewDiePie’s latest comments on the debacle.

PewDiePie slams mainstream media for “fake news” about quitting YouTube – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams mainstream media for “fake news” about quitting YouTube Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg announced he would be taking a break from YouTube sometime in 2020 and made national headlines for the decision, slamming the mainstream media for their choice of headlines. On December 14, PewDiePie released a video saying that he was tired and will be taking a break from YouTube uploads in 2020. Currently, PewDiePie uploads a video a day so he’s been a very busy man and he’s taking a well-deserved break after breaking the 100 million subscriber threshold. In a video uploaded on December 17, the Swedish YouTuber took aim at how the media handled his break. The thing he took exception to the most was the fact that many stories said he outright quit YouTube, even though that isn’t an accurate statement. Despite this, publications took the story and ran with it. “First of all, we should look at what I said,” he said before showing a clip from his video where he said he’ll be away early next year. “That’s it. That’s all I said. Early next year I’ll be away for a little while. I never said I’m quitting.” (Quote begins at 1:25) Later in the video, he even goes as far as labeling these reports as “fake news” due to their falsehoods. “I don’t wanna be all ‘fake news,’” he said. “But, it is. It is. I don’t know what to tell you.” (Quote begins at 2:58) On top of that criticism, he also took aim at stories bringing up his past incidents and linking them to his break. It’s been a constant theme in mainstream coverage of PewDiePie and something he’s always had an issue with, as mentioned in many of his previous videos. He showed several outlets do this in their articles and tweets during his video, including CNN and other mainstream sites. This rehashing of old issues goes directly counter to PewDiePie’s wish to move on from these controversies, and does little to help his public perception. PewDiePie has definitely had his share of criticisms with the media and we can now add this to list. Perhaps this is one of the reasons he deleted his Twitter, just as a way to move more away from social media. As with many other creators, PewDiePie continues to struggle with the limelight and the public’s perception, adding to the strain this new generation of entertainers feel on a daily basis.

PewDiePie slams media blaming games and movies like Joker for violence – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams media blaming games and movies like Joker for violence YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg explains why he believes the newly-released Joker movie was unfairly criticized by media ahead of its release for inspiring violence. The popular YouTuber, PewDiePie, is often known for creating light-hearted entertaining videos for his massive following of over 102 million subscribers. However, for his latest upload, the Swede chose to address the more serious topics of gun crime and violence which were raised by critics ahead of the Joker movie that premiered on August 31. After he watched the movie, PewDiePie particularly wanted to highlight the media’s reaction to the film after concerns that the R rated movie could promote ‘copycat’ violence to viewers. Many critics had even labeled the Joker movie as “dangerous” prior to and after its release, although the YouTube star was more skeptical. “The media’s reaction slowly started to become weird” he said, looking through some of the reactions to the movie, “talking about how Joker is a dangerous film and bringing out the worst of the internet.” Although some media have tried to blame violence such as mass shootings on movies and video games in the past, PewDiePie conveyed that such events should be blamed on the individual instead. “People have been blaming movies, music, games, etc as problems for other people’s behavior for decades instead of blaming the people themselves, hell I’ve even been blamed as well,” he admitted. The YouTuber explained that it was easier for people to point fingers at different forms of media to explain these problems, “emotions run high, it’s hard to think rationally, you want an easy solution to a complex issue.” PewDiePie suggested that although it was valid for people to have these worries, the amount of concern highlighted by the media over the release of Joker could actually be even more “dangerous” than the movie itself. This is not the first time PewDiePie has addressed some of the more serious societal issues, as he also recently lashed out at those people who promote outrage culture which was seen after claims were made that the “okay” hand sign was a symbol for white supremacy.

PewDiePie slams GTA Trilogy as ‘another Cyberpunk’ amid major launch issues – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams GTA Trilogy as ‘another Cyberpunk’ amid major launch issues YT: PewDiePie / RockstarYouTube King Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has joined the growing number of voices unimpressed with Rockstar’s GTA Trilogy remaster, comparing the game to Cyberpunk 2077’s turbulent launch and calling it “sad” to even look at. Despite Rockstar Games’ stellar record with the Grand Theft Auto series, they appear to have produced their first misstep. The GTA Trilogy Remastered – consisting of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas – dropped on November 11 and has been widely panned as incomplete, ugly and a poor remaster of some extraordinary games. Many fans are now in the unfamiliar camp of being seriously disappointed by a Rockstar title. For their part in the misstep, the developers have promised to sort the game’s problems and have apologized for its state upon release. An update regarding the unexpected technical issues with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. https://t.co/YP4pkOLQmG pic.twitter.com/AsfYPuMI0d — Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) November 19, 2021 Dropping into the remasters in a November 19 YouTube video, PewDiePie echoed many of the community’s complaints, referring to them as “hilariously bad” in the video’s title. Speaking of the graphics, the 32-year-old said: “Why does the game look old there? I thought remakes were supposed to make them look good, right? They look worse, how is that even possible?… This is like Cyberpunk all over again – it doesn’t matter what game you’re selling, it’s what hype you’re selling.” Cyberpunk 2077 launched at the back end of 2020 after multiple delays. Despite huge anticipation and expectation of CD Projekt RED, the game released with a plethora of issues, and the devs were forced to apologize and offer refunds. He continued: “You’d think these big companies would learn at some point. Like these giant game studios would understand: ‘we see all these competitors messing up their releases and dishing out poor quality products’… I thought Rockstar was above it.” Whether the Trilogy can salvage its poor launch remains to be seen, but Rockstar finds itself in unchartered territories as fans demand better.

PewDiePie slams Lilly Singh amidst news of YouTube’s top earning creators – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams Lilly Singh amidst news of YouTube’s top earning creators PewDiePie, Lilly Singh – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is no stranger to drama. Following his major controversy over saying a racial slur in late 2017, the YouTuber is now in an ongoing battle with Bollywood label T-Series – and is even picking a fight with another top creator on the platform. PewDiePie called out popular YouTuber Lilly Singh during an episode of ‘Pew News’ on December 9, criticizing her reaction to Forbe’s Top 10 list of 2018’s highest-earning YouTubers. Singh posted a Tweet reacting to the news, noting the fact that there were no women on the list and claiming that she had even predicted this development in her Instagram post about last year’s article. “Two years ago, it was almost even between male and female,” Singh wrote. “Last year it was just me, and this year there are no females at all. …I’m concerned the digital space is going to repeat the mistakes of ancient industries. Hope I’m wrong.” 2 years ago it was almost even between male & female, last year it was just me and this year there are no females at all. Something I predicted in my instagram caption last year. I’m concerned the digital space is going to repeat the mistakes of ancient industries. Hope I’m wrong https://t.co/VmoTMjywGK — Lilly Singh (@IISuperwomanII) December 5, 2018 PewDiePie took issue with Singh’s Tweet, finding the idea that adsense would pay men and women differently “ridiculous.” “You don’t get paid more or less based on your gender,” Pewds argued. “Adsense pays the same way. If people want to subscribe to you, they do it because they enjoy your videos, not because of your gender. That’s ridiculous.” The Swede went on to insult Lilly for her comments on the list, calling her a “crybaby” and an “idiot.” “If you start complaining about this you sound like a crybaby and an idiot, which you are, Lilly Singh, in case you weren’t sure,” he continued. Singh has since posted a series of Tweets further explaining her position on the matter, firmly holding that she isn’t merely upset that she didn’t make this year’s list, but is rather “pointing out a concerning cultural pattern” within the industry.

PewDiePie slams Chris Hemsworth & Kumail Nanjiani over alleged steroid use – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams Chris Hemsworth & Kumail Nanjiani over alleged steroid use YouTube: PewDiePie, Men’s Health / Disney, MarvelChris Hemsworth might be one of the most swole guys in Hollywood, but YouTube star PewDiePie isn’t convinced the Thor actor is natty — and he’s upset that celebs aren’t “being transparent” about their gains. Swedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg may be a gamer, first and foremost, but he’s gone through his own fitness journey and understands how much work it takes to go from couch potato to gym rat. The star unleashed his jaw-dropping transformation in September 2020, leaving fans shocked and curious as to how he achieved his fitness results. Kjellberg claimed that cutting out alcohol and eating more protein went a long way in helping him gain muscle, but also stressed the importance of regular workouts (even if he feels his own home gym isn’t top of the line). However, when it comes to the image some Hollywood A-Listers are shelling out, Kjellberg is far less optimistic. PewDiePie calls out Marvel actors for “not being transparent” with alleged steroid use The YouTuber uploaded a video discussing the Marvel movie physique, calling out the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Kumail Nanjiani for their “lack of transparency” about their fitness achievements. More specifically, Pewds called out Hemsworth for peddling a fitness regimen to fans, who have to pay a certain amount to emulate his workouts with the goal of achieving his muscular frame — a body PewDiePie is convinced is the result of steroids, not just a good diet and exercise. “How many teenaged Marvel fans do you think are buying this, just hoping to look like Chris?” he asked. “It’s just lame, dude. We know the reason why you put that physique to the next level, and it’s not just put in the work, put in the hours.” View this post on Instagram He went on to call out Kumail Nanjiani, who notably underwent a drastic fitness transformation for his role in Marvel’s Eternals. Similarly, Pewds accused Nanjiani of steroid use, finding it difficult to believe the actor got juiced without using any “secret sauce.” “Anyone transforming in a year, that’s a dead giveaway,” he said of the actor. “Building muscle takes time. It’s a slow process.” Overall, PewDiePie recognized that large companies like Disney and Marvel require their actors to fit into a certain, heroic look — but also admitted that fans most likely want to see their favorite actors in tip-top shape. “I don’t know who’s right or wrong here. Am I supposed to be mad at Chris and Kumail and all these people? After all, they are just giving people what they want, which is seeing these actors transform in cinema.”

PewDiePie Slams Fousey following Hate Dies, Love Arrives Event PewDiePie / FouseyFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has said that Yousef ‘Fousey’ Erakat shouldn’t be a YouTuber following the ‘disastrous’ “Hate Dies, Love Arrives” event in Los Angeles on July 15, which was shut down early after a bomb threat. Many YouTubers, including Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, Philip DeFranco and PewDiePie slammed the “Hate Dies, Love Arrives” show, with the Swedish star criticizing Fousey after the entertainer insinuated that music icon Drake would be attending the Greek Theatre. He also suggested that the event was conceived to promote Fousey’s new diss track. In a video titled “This is why you shouldn’t be a YouTuber // Fouseytube”, Pewdiepie also compared the event to Tana Mongeau’s “TanaCon”, a convention that was cancelled after just one day where fans were left standing outside for hours. “As you may have already imagined, this event follows a lot of similarities to TanaCon,” said Pewdiepie.” Promises of people appearing that didn’t really happen, and by ‘really’ I mean ‘not at all’. Fousey had been hyping that Drake was gonna be there. He never technically said it but it was insinuated and the thoughts bought it as well”. Following the premature closure of the event, Fouseytube gave a lengthy speech in the parking lot, before releasing his new song, a diss track against Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le, PewDiePie called Fouseytube egotistical, claiming that the show was “all to hype up his song” At the end of the video, he said: “Fousey, if you’re watching, I’m sure you are, hello, how are you doing? You literally just appear needy, egotistic, and like a complete moron, “We’re really seeing this more and more now with YouTubers, that once were big, grasping to anything for the relevancy, “Fousey, I would encourage yourself to ask yourself why do you want all these things? Why do you want the song to be the hot hundred? Why do you want it to get this many views? Why did you make it? What was the point of it? Because I think, until you’re honest with yourself and answer those questions, you’re just gonna keep falling in the same trap over and over and over”

PewDiePie slams “awful” TikTok dry-scooping trend – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams “awful” TikTok dry-scooping trend YouTube: PewDiePie / TiktokFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has slammed the “awful” pre-workout dry-scooping TikTok trend, stating that it’s “a terrible idea.” Following the trend of his recent reaction videos, Kjellberg uploaded a video to his channel titled: “TikToks latest dumb trend.” In it, the creator talks about an ongoing trend on the short-form video platform where users take a scoop of pre-workout powder without mixing it in water like intended. Pre-workout is a powder that some people use before going to the gym and can have as much caffeine as three cups of coffee per scoop. This is a dangerous trend, as the levels of caffeine and other ingredients are in concentrated forms until mixed with water. As reported by Newsweek, a fitness influencer was sent to the ER with high blood pressure and brain swelling after chasing more than four dry scoops with mixed versions of the powder. PewDiePie slams TikTok trend While showing a couple of video examples of the trend, Felix explained: “I think this has gone for a while actually, but TikTok is now trying to shut it down.” Going on to mention the first time he tried pre-workout powder, he described a tingling feeling like he was “dying.” The YouTuber went on to say: “Preworkout is really f**kin strong, so of all things to consume without drinking water, it just seems like a terrible f**kin idea.” “There’s nothing funny or cool about it, it’s just really dumb. It didn’t stop anyone though,” he continued later in the video. PewDiePie went on to mention that he believes you really don’t have to drink anything at all before a workout. “Just say that you may die if you do this trend, that’s the only way it’s gonna stop me if I was 12. Don’t tell them it’s dangerous, it’s just going to make them want to do it more ya idiots,” he said towards the end of the video. As mentioned above, dry-scooping is a very dangerous trend and could lead to massive health problems and even death. If you take pre-workout supplements, do it responsibly.

PewDiePie slams “backwards” Toei Animation after YouTuber receives 150 copyright strikes in a day – Dexerto
PewDiePie slams “backwards” Toei Animation after YouTuber receives 150 copyright strikes in a day YouTube: PewDiePie, Totally Not Mark / Toei AnimationYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is taking aim at Japanese anime studio Toei Animation after the company filed over 150 copyright claims against a YouTuber in a single day. Popular anime essayist and reviewer Mark Fitzpatrick uploaded a YouTube video on December 7 claiming that Toei Animation had issued over 150 strikes against his channel due to copyright infringement. Fitzpatrick stated that Toei had effectively blocked the equivalent of three years of his work, saying he was “devastated” and worried about providing for himself, his employees, and his family due to lost views and income during this holiday season. The YouTuber’s video has gone viral, amassing over 700,000 views and garnering attention from top influencers in the anime space… one of which included YouTube king PewDiePie. PewDiePie criticizes Toei Animation after copyright strikes against anime YouTuber On December 9, PewDiePie uploaded a video reacting to Toei’s apparent mass copyright strike against Fitzpatrick, calling the studio a “big-shot company that couldn’t care less about some random anime YouTuber.” “Japan is so notoriously dumb when it comes to copyright,” he said. “Backwards thinking or just overall lacking in what most people agree is Fair Use and not. They just don’t care. They’re a big company. That’s it.” Kjellberg went on to compare Toei’s copyright claims to Nintendo’s failed creator program, which allowed creators to use game footage and music — provided they split their revenue. “I think it’s important that we call these things out, so that hopefully they can listen,” PewDiePie continued. “This, what happened to Mark, just really highlights a huge issue with YouTube.” The YouTuber then turned his criticisms to YouTube, noting the site’s notoriously ill-received copyright system. “Any day, your livelihood on YouTube could get removed, because some big company decided, out of the blue: ‘That, no. Stop that,’” he added. (Topic begins at 1:33) No further updates have been posted regarding Fitzpatrick’s ongoing copyright battle with Toei Animation at the time of writing and his affected videos remain demonetized.

PewDiePie signs exclusive streaming deal with YouTube Gaming – Dexerto
PewDiePie signs exclusive streaming deal with YouTube Gaming YouTube Gaming / PewDiePieYouTube Gaming announced on May 4 that their number one subscribed content creator Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has signed a deal to exclusively stream on their platform. It’s been close to over 10 years since PewDiePie first launched his YouTube channel, and the entertainer is known today as the most subscribed individual content creator on the platform. However in a surprise announcement, the Swede has revealed that he has signed a deal to stream exclusively with YouTube Gaming – and has big plans for live content in 2020. Related – How The Mob Turned Trolling into a Legit Career PewDiePie signs exclusive streaming deal with YouTube While PewDiePie got his start making Lets Plays for games like Call of Duty and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, in recent years the star has been known for his reaction style content such as his popular Meme Review segment. However, the Swede went back to his roots in 2019 when he launched his wildly successful Minecraft series that became a cultural phenomena. And now it looks like the YouTuber is going to continue to make gaming content through live streaming. “YouTube has been my home for over a decade now and live streaming on the platform feels like a natural fit as I continue to look for new ways to create content and interact with fans worldwide,” he explained in a press release. “Live streaming is something I’m focusing a lot on in 2020 and beyond, so to be able to partner with YouTube and be at the forefront of new product features is special and exciting for the future.” The content creator will be leaving behind his old streaming platform DLive, which he partnered up with in April 2019. However given his subscriber count of over 104 million on YouTube, the collaboration brings him closer to his viewers. At the beginning of February, the creator hinted at his future plans for the channel. “I’m working on bigger projects as well. There is definitely some changes I will have to do with the channel, but I’ll do them gradually,” he explained at the time. The move also comes on the heels of the platform signing other streaming stars such as 100 Thieves Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, and Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter. Securing the Swedish king no doubt makes them a legitimate contender to rival livestreaming service Twitch. Fans of the YouTuber have been loving his return to gaming, so much so that even his accidental upload of a Call of Duty video he created in 2010 racked up over 4 millions views. PewDiePie had a monumental year in 2019, launching his Minecraft series, breaking his 100 million subscriber milestone, and marrying his best friend Marzia. With the Swede tackling streaming in 2020, fans have a lot to be excited for.

PewDiePie shuts down fan requests for Minecraft return: “You need to let things go” – Dexerto
PewDiePie shuts down fan requests for Minecraft return: “You need to let things go” YouTube: PewDiePie / MojangFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg played a significant role in Minecraft’s recent popularity explosion — but it looks like he’s taking an extended break from the sandbox game, and fans are fiending for a comeback. PewDiePie is YouTube’s most-subscribed independent content creator. Although he’s played oodles of games throughout his decade-long career as an influencer, he first became known for his horror game playthroughs, and has since expanded to playing anything and everything that interests him. One of his favorite games happens to be Minecraft, an incredibly popular, creative, sandbox-type title that has become one of the internet’s favorite pastimes. However, this wasn’t always the case. In fact, PewDiePie had a big hand in reviving the game back in 2019, and created an uber-popular video series chronicling his antics constructing a “giant Swedish meatball” and sharing his grueling 12-hour hardcore-mode stream, among other exploits. Since his Minecraft fever reached its peak in 2019-2020, Kjellberg has returned and taken breaks from the game quite a few times, and fans are wanting him to come back to the title now more than ever. PewDiePie reacted to the hubbub during a video uploaded on September 23, 2021, after coming across a Reddit post memeing his constant back-and-forth relationship with Minecraft. “Bruh, am I just supposed to play every game forever?” he laughed. “Guys, you need to let things go! If you guys were an entity, or a person, you’d have severe separation anxiety. You understand that, right?” “I can’t make things last forever!” he continued. “I’m sorry! The beauty of life is not binding yourself to things. Have freedom to explore new things! Go out there, try different things. I’m doing it. Yeah!” (Topic begins at 4:15) While it’s clear that Kjellberg was making light of the situation, it’s no secret that fans of his Minecraft videos have been waiting for him to return to the game for some time. It looks like they’ll have to wait indefinitely — or, taking PewDiePie’s advice, try new games in the interim.

PewDiePie Sides with Ninja on Choosing Not to Stream with Women – Dexerto
PewDiePie Sides with Ninja on Choosing Not to Stream with Women Getty Images/PewDiePiePewDiePie has addressed the recent viral debate surrounding Twitch streamer Ninja’s decision not to stream with women to avoid drama and gossip. In an interview, Ninja explained the reason why you’ll never see him streaming with women, is to avoid the inevitable rumors and protect his relationship with his wife and manager, Jessica “JGhosty” Blevins. The news sparked a debate on social media across the wider community on Twitch and in gaming generally, with lots of high profile figures weighing in. Ninja himself clarified his comments with a statement on Twitter, and PewDiePie, as the most subscribed YouTuber and one of the most famous people on the internet, completely sympathises. More: KaceyTron Receives Twitter Ban After Arguing Over Ninja Choosing Not to Stream with Women “I’ll cut your dick off” – PewDiePie explains that many people not in Ninja’s position may not fully understand that his every move is criticized, and from past cases of internet stars and relationships, they don’t mix well. “Ninja made a very off hand remark, saying ‘I don’t want to play with female streamers, because I want to avoid all the gossip that comes with that.’ Now, anyone that’s a public figure understands what he means. A lot of people also made pretty reasonable claims against this statement, saying ‘I understand, but he could still play with them and not care about the rumors’ […] In any other job, this is true. But on the internet, what you don’t understand is that people are insane, especially when it comes to relationships. People are crazy.” PewDiePie is in a unique position to talk about the situation, considering he is one of very few internet stars who can truly relate to the decision which Ninja is having to make. “I’ve seen it myself. Other YouTuber couples, their relationship becoming more complicated because other people had things to say about it online.” He also thinks that Ninja’s words in the original interview perhaps could have been said better, to emphasise his reasoning, rather than the decision itself. PewDiePie actually says he knows of other content creators who do the same, but it just isn’t publicized. “I know for a fact that other YouTubers or streamers don’t collaborate or play with females, because they know there will just be a lot of drama and bs with it, and it’s just not worth it. This is really the ugly truth of the internet.” You can watch PewDiePie’s full video addressing the Ninja situation below.

PewDiePie shocked by impact of YouTube Adpocalypse on David Dobrik – Dexerto
PewDiePie shocked by impact of YouTube Adpocalypse on David Dobrik During a DLive stream, king of YouTube Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg weighed in on how hard famous YouTuber David Dobrik was hit by the Adpocalypse, while also voicing his opinion on things YouTube and Dobrik are doing right and wrong. Pewdiepie may be on top of YouTube, but the popular Swedish entertainer hasn’t bet his entire career on one single platform. During a recent stream of his on the DLive platform, he explained why he had done this on purpose. While reading an article about YouTube’s latest COPPA regulations, he said that he’s “always been mindful that a YouTube career could end at any point.” PewDiePie has been extremely vocal about his perceived problems with the COPPA regulations set to become official in 2020. He’s been especially critical of the automated portion of the new regulations, harboring back to the issue of automatic copyright claims, before turning his focus to the YouTube ‘Adpocalypse’ that affected so many channels. Pewds brought up the Mens’ Health video featuring YouTube star David Dobrik sharing financial aspects of his career on the video platform. Pewdiepie was stunned to see the drop in revenue for Dobrik, who went from monthly checks of around $275k for 60 million views to checks of approximately only $2,000 for nearly 180 million views. He acknowledged that this was likely due to Dobrik’s edgy content, but most importantly, the amount of copyrighted music that Dobrik uses in his videos. Pewdiepie correctly assumed that brand deals were a big part of the equation and were pleasantly surprised to hear David say the money he gets from brand deals goes toward the big gift in his videos. “That’s a cool way to do it,” Felix remarked. “It’s hard not to like David. He seems cool.” Dobrik inadvertently brought up a similar point to PewDiePie in his Men’s’ Health video about not banking entirely on YouTube. David said the lower checks “were a wake-up call” that he should expand into other avenues like merchandise, which Pewds agreed with. While both stars appear interested in expanding outside of the platform, with PewDiePie addressing how AdSense can only support a creator if they create daily videos, he also said that “YouTube does a lot of really good things,” and that creating a new framework similar to YouTube’s would “cost a fortune.” But he also encouraged competition, saying that competition like that is useful in any industry. Given that he also said that there’s currently “no option outside of YouTube other than streaming,” we can expect both creators to stay on the platform for a while. You can watch the whole video of PewDiePie here on DLive. The Dobrik discussion starts at 31:03.

PewDiePie shows off his yo-yo ‘skills’ in hilarious Instagram video Instagram: @itsmarziapieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg showed off his yo-yo ‘skills’ in a comical Instagram story on March 4. The Swedish star’s mastery of the popular toy quickly led to fans making hilarious memes around it. PewDiePie is most popular content creator on YouTube, with millions of subscribers across the world. The entertainer has become wildly influential with his signature humor that incorporates memes. However during his day off from uploading weekly content, the Swede had fans in stitches after his wife Marzia posted an Instagram story showing off his yo-yo ‘skills.’ PewDiePie shows off his yo-yo ‘skills’ The Swede returned from his month-long vacation in late February and made some changes to his channel. After 10 years of daily uploads, Pewds is now giving himself a few days a week to relax or work on other projects. While the YouTuber doesn’t use social media, his wife Marzia often documents their travels on her Instagram. And on March 4 she uploaded a photo of the two playing with yo-yos with the caption “Yoyo masters.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B9TqpteHj88/ Demonstrating his pro gamer abilities further, he then threw his yo-yo out behind a dumpster without being seen. However he then hilariously revealed himself as his head popped up from behind the object. The YouTuber’s Reddit forum r/PewdiepieSubmissions quickly began to meme the new clips, such as users ‘jeandre_coetzee’ and ‘Skaarl-‘ who joked that his yo-yo skills came from his time playing Terraria, which features the toy as weapon in the game. While the videos were certainly meant to be silly, if nothing else it shows that the Swedish star has a sense of humor even when taking a break from uploading content. PewDiePie has not missed a beat since returning from his month-long vacation in January. He’s continued his popular series Last Week I Asked You and Meme Review to insane views, proving that the vacation didn’t slow him down one bit.

PewDiePie shares reason behind not wanting to take photos in public – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares reason behind not wanting to take photos in public YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg opened up to viewers during his August 2 upload, and explained why he will no longer be taking selfies when approached in public. For many, PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment for the last decade. The content creator went from his humble roots in Sweden in 2010 to being YouTube’s biggest star with a staggering 106 million subscribers to his channel. On August 2, the entertainer explained to his audience why fans asking him for selfies has began to take a toll on him. The 30-year-old said taking photos had started to feel “dehumanizing” and “uncomfortable” for him. PewDiePie on taking selfies with fans in public The YouTuber took time out of his latest episode of Last Week I Asked You to address viewers about taking selfies with them out in public. “I’ve decided, no more selfies,” he announced. Pewds then said he was worried that people would take his decision out of context, and asked fans to watch until the end. “I love meeting you guys. I love doing these meetups where it’s a set place to hang out and just talk. But I think my life has just become to a point where whenever I go outside, I have to just be ready whatever I’m doing to just stop, and take a photo,” he said. He then clarified that he doesn’t mind talking with his fans in public, but rather he hates the photo aspect. “I don’t mind to just stop and chat with you guys, but the whole photo process to me… I don’t like it. You do like a thousand of them, and after a while you feel like an animal at a zoo that’s like a prop for someone. And I don’t like it. I’m tired of it. I don’t want to do it anymore.” (Timestamp 15:07 for mobile users.) The creator stated that he didn’t expect everyone to understand, but believed his fans would respect his point of view. He revealed that taking pictures would sometimes give away where he lives. “I don’t always want people to know where I am. If everyone just took their photo and didn’t share it, fine. But the problem is people share it online. It’s so uncomfortable!” PewDiePie wrapped up the announcement by clarifying that he would love to take selfies with fans at meet and greets or scheduled events, however that he will no longer take photos out in public. With over 106 million subscribers, the Swedish star is not only the biggest individual YouTuber, but one of the most recognized entertainers in the world. His lack of privacy is something most could not comprehend.

PewDiePie shares surprising reaction to Lilly Singh’s YouTube hiatus – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares surprising reaction to Lilly Singh’s YouTube hiatus YouTube’s most subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, spoke out on popular YouTuber Lilly Singh’s announcement of her indefinite break from the platform in an episode of ‘Pew News’ on November 15. PewDiePie admitted that he was “annoyed” with all the talk of mental health surrounding creators’ recent string of breaks from YouTube, claiming that BBC News had even reached out to him for comment on the issue. “I’m getting a little annoyed by it,” he claimed. “I’m not gonna lie. It’s like, shut up. Shut up, children. Just take a break.” PewDiePie went on to cite YouTube’s statement refuting concerns of potential channel decline during breaks, and encouraged YouTubers to step away from the platform should they feel overwhelmed – despite fears that they might lose subscribers. He then stated that Singh’s announcement video was likely made to draw attention to her channel, claiming that the “best way to get people’s attention” is through a big announcement video. “That’s the reason why she wanted to take a break to begin with,” he continued. “Probably, her channel isn’t doing as well, and probably she isn’t happy with what she’s making.” PewDiePie also took issue with YouTubers’ need to “monetize everything,” and even predicted that “break announcement” videos could end up becoming a trend in the near future. “Not every decision you make has to be for your YouTube channel,” he argued. “…It’s annoying seeing praise for making a statement about taking a break, because now, it’s just gonna be a further trend, I think.” While Singh doesn’t know how long her break will last, she did admit that she will be making a return when she feels the time is right, and is currently seeking therapy in the interim.

PewDiePie shares his insane police chase story – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares his insane police chase story YouTube: PewDiePie / PixabayPopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed that he once had a run in with the police when he was younger. The Swede opened up on stream about a handful of “embarrassing” stories from his youth. [jwplayer smynPnSq] For many, PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment for the last decade. With over 107 million subscribers to his channel, the content creator is undoubtedly the reigning king of YouTube. During his October 29 livestream, the star opened up about experiences he had when he was lesser known. From speeding tickets to his car being impounded, the 31-year-old had some incredible stories to tell. PewDiePie reveals story about run-in with police The YouTuber was preparing to stream Among Us with Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys when he revealed “embarrassing” stories from his youth to viewers. The star detailed a time he was pulled over for speeding on the highway. “I was 18 and I just got my driver’s license. Of course, the cliche. I thought ‘yeah, there is no cars.’ Thought I was the coolest,” he said, before pausing to tell fans, “DON’T DO THIS, it’s not cool! But then I sped, and the police actually chased after me. They put the sirens behind, I’ve never seen that before.” Despite the scare of them chasing him, luckily he was let off with a warning. “I gave them the sappiest eyes ever. I feel like the pitied me so hard, they just lowered what they had on the ticket. They were like “you’re fine, just go. Don’t drive fast,” he said. The entertainer added, “I’ve never been stopped in the UK, I was stopped so many times in Sweden.” As if that wasn’t crazy enough, Kjellberg also told his audience the story about how his car once got impounded when he was out of the country, and was almost auctioned off. “F**king auctions, man. That happened to my car once. I didn’t pay tax on it, and I was away. So it had been taken off and it was just about to go in auction,” the YouTuber revealed. “It’s f**king crazy. How can they do that? I was out of the country!” PewDiePie had to drive over 40 minutes to reach the place where they had taken his vehicle. Summing up the whole experience, he cautioned fans: “It’s tough, guys, it’s tough not paying your taxes.” The stories PewDiePie told were from years back, however he called them “embarrassing” experiences. To be fair, everyone has a story of getting into trouble in some form or another in their youth. Despite being known for his video content, in 2020 the personality has been streaming more often after signing a major deal with YouTube back in March. Fans are often treated to anecdotes from the star’s interesting life.

PewDiePie shares more information on recent house robbery – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares more information on recent house robbery YouTube sensation Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has provided new details after confirming that a house he and his wife Marzia owns has been ransacked. PewDiePie is one of the most popular content creators on the internet, regularly pulling in millions of views on his YouTube videos, with massive followings across social media. It’s little surprise then that many were shocked when Marzia posted an Instagram story which stated that the couple’s house had been broken into, and valuables like jewelry, luxury goods, and collected items had all been taken by the thief. While the Swede had remained quiet about the situation himself, he finally addressed the robbery in a video uploaded on Monday, December 2, confirming that is wasn’t his house in the United Kingdom where he lives at the moment that was broken into, although the couple also had some major issues there too. “What a week,” he said, as he kicked off a video where he looked at cute and heartwarming images. “First, here in the UK, my house got flooded, pure panic for the last couple of days. “Then, my place in Japan was robbed, and they took all our stuff. Epic. I need to look at blessed images on Reddit to know the whole world isn’t rotten.” The 30-year-old confirmed that the Kjellbergs had purchased a property in Japan back in September, and has even teased moving to the country on a permanent basis after the couple spent their second honeymoon in “The Land of the Rising Sun.” While PewDiePie had previously stated that he was uncomfortable doing a house tour of his home in the Asian country for fears that the location of their property would be determined, it appears that thieves were able to discover it anyway.

PewDiePie shares hilarious reaction to Twitch streamer Alinity showing a dick pic on stream – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares hilarious reaction to Twitch streamer Alinity showing a dick pic on stream PewDiePie, YouTube / Alinity, TwitchPopular Twitch streamer ‘Alinity Divine’ stirred up controversy after accidentally showing a dick pic during a live broadcast – and YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg had a hilarious reaction to the slip-up. PewDiePie addressed the accidental wiener wielding during an episode of Pew News on January 25, expressing mock surprise that Alinity would be involved in yet another scandal. He also noted that Alinity may have been playing his T-Series diss track, ‘Bitch Lasagna,’ in the background of the clip, and speculated that she could be part of his nine-year-old army – despite their previous beef. “What is happening here?” Pewds asked incredulously. “Why is she playing the song of my people? Is Alinity secretly a nine-year-old?” PewDiePie went on to call Alinity’s slip-up the “oopsie of the century,” sarcastically commenting that there would be “no recovery” for the streamer (likely a subtle jab toward her comebacks after a number of previous scandals). PewDiePie is no stranger to Alinity, either; the two went back and forth in May of 2018, after the streamer struck Pewd’s eye-tracking video on grounds of copyright infringement due to Pewds jokingly calling female streamers “Twitch thots.” “My intention is never to upset people with videos,” PewDiePie said of the scandal. “To me, ‘thot’ is such a memeable word that it doesn’t necessarily have any negative connotation with it.” Alinity likewise circled the news after an email leaked during a previous stream that showed she had sold underwear to an unnamed individual. Alinity later admitted to the transaction and claimed that she would never make such a deal again.

PewDiePie shares hilarious reaction to being the “biggest Fortnite streamer” – Dexerto
PewDiePie shares hilarious reaction to being the “biggest Fortnite streamer” PewDiePie, YouTube / Epic GamesYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg went live with an emergency Fortnite stream in an effort to stay above T-Series on February 3 – and he had a humorous reaction to the broadcast’s success. PewDiePie discussed the stream in an episode of ‘Pew News’ on February 6, where he noted that his YouTube broadcast garnered more live viewers than the entirety of Fortnite on Twitch. “Let this be an inspirational message for all of you,” Pewds joked. “[I’m] the biggest Fortnite streamer. …I’m the greatest Fortnite streamer! Let it be known.” PewDiePie went on to address his previous claims that he would never stream the battle royale title on his channel, jokingly claiming that it was a last resort in the face of T-Series’ ever-increasing sub count. “Look, desperate times call for desperate measures,” Pewds said sarcastically. “I did what I had to do, and I’m not proud of it, dammit.” In fact, PewDiePie had teased the idea of streaming Fortnite during a previous video in November of 2018, calling the concept ‘genius’ – despite vehemently denying any chance of playing the game “just for the sake of views.” PewDiePie’s Fortnite stream sent him to the top of YouTube’s trending page for gaming, and reportedly saw over 300,000 live viewers. His plan seemed to pan out, as his subscriber count shot up 50,000 subs during the broadcast’s duration. While PewDiePie now sits at over 83 million subscribers, the margin between both channels continues to dwindle, with T-Series just under 100,000 subs away from overtaking YouTube’s biggest independent creator.

PewDiePie sets new subscriber goal as race with T-Series continues – Dexerto
PewDiePie sets new subscriber goal as race with T-Series continues T-Series / PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s race against Bollywood label T-Series continues to heighten, despite his brief loss – but the Swede isn’t giving up hope just yet. PewDiePie made an announcement during an episode of ‘LWIAY’ on March 8, where he revealed that he hopes to reach a major subscriber milestone before his fight with T-Series comes to an end. While both channels reached a whopping 88 million subscribers in late February, PewDiePie hopes to reach 100 million subs ahead of T-Series’ projected victory. [Timestamp: 0:30 for mobile viewers.] “Keep subscribing, god dammit!” PewDiePie jokingly urged his viewers. “…we gotta make it to 100 [million]. We’re gonna make it to 100 mill, and we’re gonna dab on them, and that’s how we’ll know that we’re winning.” Although T-Series was projected to surpass Pewds in early 2019, the Swede continues to outpace his Bollywood nemesis, thanks to the efforts of his dedicated fanbase and other popular YouTubers. The label even overtook PewDiePie for a grueling ten minutes on February 22, thanks to an automated audit by YouTube that purged over 20,000 inactive subscribers. Despite this brief defeat, PewDiePie managed to bounce back in a big way, prompting T-Series’ CEO to speak out on their fight with a message urging Indian subscribers to end the race for good. PewDiePie hit back at the PSA in kind, calling T-Series “desperate” – and now, he has an even bigger goal in mind (which could very well come to pass, if previous trends continue to hold true for the YouTuber).

PewDiePie shades Lilly Singh over ‘Fahrenheit 451’ movie – Dexerto
PewDiePie shades Lilly Singh over ‘Fahrenheit 451’ movie PewDiePie, YouTube / Lilly Singh, BBCYouTube’s most subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, continues to take shots at fellow YouTuber Lilly Singh – this time, over her involvement in HBO Films’ ‘Fahrenheit 451.’ PewDiePie uploaded a video on December 29 where he discussed the 72 books he’d read throughout 2018, including Ray Bradbury’s classic novel, ‘Fahrenheit 451.’ Pewds wasn’t too impressed with the title, comparing it to Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World,’ and even threw shade toward the book’s 2018 film adaptation – particularly due to Lilly Singh’s involvement in the production. “This is the one that’s going to get a movie adapted to it,” PewDiePie said of the novel. “I think Lilly Singh is even acting in it, so it’s gonna be great,” he continued, sarcastically raising his hands in mock excitement. His video went on to showcase ‘Fahrenheit 451’s’ poor rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where it received an overall score of 5/10 and an audience score of 23%. Pewds then showed footage from Singh’s special with HBO discussing her role in the film, followed by a clip from one of Pewd’s previous videos where he called her an “idiot” and a “crybaby.” This isn’t the first time Pewds has thrown shade at Singh; he slammed the YouTuber in early December for criticizing Forbe’s list of 2018’s top 10 highest earning YouTubers, which she decried for not featuring a single female creator in its ranks. Since then, Singh has been shaded by multiple personalities in the space, including the likes of Drama Alert’s Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, who felt that Singh was using sexism as an excuse for being upset that she wasn’t featured on Forbe’s list.
