  • PewDiePie sees insane channel growth thanks to his battle with T-Series – Dexerto

PewDiePie sees insane channel growth thanks to his battle with T-Series PewDiePie, YouTube / T-SeriesYouTube’s biggest creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has seen immense channel growth, with his monthly subscriber count increasing 700% due to his ongoing battle with Bollywood label ‘T-Series.’ According to stats provided by Social Blade, PewDiePie managed to gain more subscribers in the final four months of 2018 than the entirety of 2017, now sitting at over 81 million subs and counting. As reported by Business Insider, PewDiePie’s channel saw a surge of 13 million subscribers between September and December of 2018 – a huge jump, considering that the YouTube king only managed to score seven million subs throughout the entirety of 2017. https://www.businessinsider.com/pewdiepie-vs-t-series-pewdiepie-sees-700-subscriber-growth-2019-1December also saw a 700% subscriber increase for Pewds, who reeled in a whopping 6.62 million subs as opposed to his 855,000 gain in September. However, despite fans’ efforts to keep PewDiePie above T-Series’ clutches, the Bollywood Label continues to rise in subscribers, now sitting at over 80,700,000 subs as of January 16, 2019. The battle between the two channels came to light in late August of 2018, when PewDiePie mockingly challenged the company to a physical duel in a video. Since then, other popular YouTubers, internet stars, and celebrities have come out in support of YouTube’s largest independent creator – with some fans even hacking printers and Chromecasts to spread the message. PewDiePie himself has stated that he “doesn’t care” if T-Series surpasses him. Instead expressing concern that YouTube is shifting toward a more “corporate” business model, due to many YouTubers’ sponsorships and partnerships with various brands.

  • PewDiePie set to beat T-Series to next YouTube milestone despite legal battle – Dexerto

PewDiePie set to beat T-Series to next YouTube milestone despite legal battle YouTube: PewDiePie/T-SeriesContent creation master Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg looks to be on track to beat T-Series to yet another major milestone in their great YouTube subscriber battle, despite the ongoing legal battle surrounding his ‘Congratulations’ diss track. PewDiePie vs. T-Series: Next milestone The two huge channels have been competing against each other for the best part of six months, and despite T-Series hopping ahead of Pewds on a few occasions, the YouTuber has been able to bounce back remarkably because of his ever-growing cult following. Now, in the race to 100 million subs, it looks almost certain that the Swede will scoop another major milestone on the platform, despite having his successful diss tracks blocked in India following a court order from T-Series. Based on the live subscriber counts for both channels, PewDiePie looks on course to be the first YouTuber to reach 94 million subs. The YouTuber is around 100,000 new subscribers away from reaching the landmark, with the Indian production company trailing by just over 200,000 at the time of writing. PewDiePie vs. T-Series: Recent ups and downs While that sounds incredibly impressive for PewDiePie, reaching that milestone will not have come without some peaks and troughs. During the months of March and April, T-Series recorded leads of 30,000 and later 100,000 – a distance that many mainstream media outlets such as the BBC reported could spell the end for his reign as YouTube’s king. Read More: Top 20 most liked YouTube Videos – The content creator has enjoyed a recent surge in popularity, though, with the release of his latest ‘Congratulations’ diss track – which initially put him at a 400,000 lead. However, since then, T-Series has managed to half that margin to around 200,000. The chances of T-Series springing ahead in the future is likely, due to their ever-growing popularity in India, but the statistics suggest the 94 million mark is in touching distance for the Swede.

  • PewDiePie says he is “finally free” from content grind after moving to Japan – Dexerto

PewDiePie says he is “finally free” from content grind after moving to Japan YouTube: pewdiepieContent creator and streamer PewDiePie has said he is taking a more relaxed approach to content creation since moving to Japan. PewDiePie and wife Marzia moved to Japan a year ago after being forced to hold off their plans for two years due to the pandemic. As a huge enthusiast of Japanese culture, PewDiePie’s move didn’t come as a surprise to many fans and many were excited to see what the content creator got up to in the new location. Now, to celebrate having lived in the country for a year, the YouTube star has released a “review” of the country with a list of things he liked and disliked. One of the ‘likes’ to make the list was PewDiePew discovering a more relaxed approach to YouTube. “For my entire 20s, I did nothing but Youtube. That was my life and that’s ok,” the content creator said. “But I also think it was a little toxic.” He went on to say that he has since found new hobbies and interests while living in Japan, including surfing. “It feels good to finally be free from [the content grind].” PewDiePie did admit that this new approach to content creation is less about Japan itself and more to do with his own mindset. PewDiePie reviews his new life in Japan since moving a year ago “It’s not really Japan, I could have done that anywhere. But it’s largely why I enjoy it so much here,” he said. As the most-subscribed YouTuber on the platform, fans were quick to show their support for the content creator and his happiness at the change. “We’re glad to be part of your journey Pewds. Keep on living your life,” one comment said. “So nice to see Pewds just having fun with Youtube and uploading fun stuff,” another fan commented. • PewDiePie roasts YouTube with his own version of Rewind 2019 – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts YouTube with his own version of Rewind 2019 Not satisfied with YouTube’s 2019 Rewind, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg unveiled his own version of the annual celebration video, and took the Google-owned company to task. Since 2010, YouTube has released their annual ‘Rewind’ video that takes a look back at the entire year by celebrating the creators that helped shape the culture of the platform. However, the video company received swift backlash from the community for their 2019 release, and now PewDiePie has stepped in to show the company how it should have been done. PewDiePie releases his own Rewind 2019 The Swede uploaded a video titled “YouTube Rewind 2019, but it’s actually good” on December 29, where he took shots at YouTube by mocking the top 10 list format they used for this year’s video. “In 2018 we made something you didn’t like. So in 2019, we made a top 10 WatchMojo video! That will fix it!” he exclaimed as he opened up his own version of the yearly roundup. The video cut to a montage that featured several of the most popular memes of 2019, including GTA San Andreas’ “Ah s**t, here we go again” and “ok boomer.” It also featured the 30-year-old’s iconic ‘Congratulations’ diss track that was left out in the official Rewind. Pewds’ take on the roundup covered a wide variety of topics from the 2019 Joker film, to tying Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins’ announcement that he was moving to Mixer with the “Joe Momma” meme. With clever editing, the Swede acknowledged he lost the subscriber war with T-Series, but used Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney’s video of the Fortnite star suing FaZe Clan to say “this is bulls**t,” and also featured popular Twitch streamer Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel calling Thanos from The Avengers a “cheater.” In an emotional segment, the video celebrated the YouTubers no longer with us, including Dillon the Hacker, Grant Thompson, Juice WRLD, and Etika, featuring the Nintendo fan’s inspirational rant to his audience before cutting to fans at his memorial yelling “JoyCon Boyz!” The whole thing ends appropriately with the Fortnite Chapter 2’s black hole sucking up everything, with only the goose from the Untitled Goose Game left to survive. Read More: Ninja roasted by Cloakzy & CouRage – PewDiePie collaborated with Dolan Dark, FlyingKitty, Grandayy, and Party In Backyard to make the whole video come together, which will no doubt be a hit among the community as it captured things that were popular with fans this year and acknowledged those that had sadly passed away, compared to the official one.

  • PewDiePie saves ‘Jesus Christ’ by giving him a shout-out – Dexerto

PewDiePie saves ‘Jesus Christ’ by giving him a shout-out PewDiePie / @SoCalChristYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been credited with saving ‘Jesus Christ’ – a YouTuber who impersonates the biblical Jesus on YouTube – by giving him a shout-out. In a bizarre yet admittedly heartwarming story, PewDiePie has helped this YouTuber, who claims to legitimately be named ‘Jesus H. Christ’, in an ongoing custody battle for his three children. Jesus began a fundraising effort in order to be able to afford a lawyer to work for him in the proceedings, and so PewDiePie decided to help, because “Jesus has always had my back.” It’s not the first time that Kjellberg helped the YouTuber either, as he previously rallied for Jesus to be unbanned from ‘Fiverr’, a site where he took commissions to say whatever people wanted, while dressed as the biblical Jesus. Jesus made a video out of character on January 6, explaining his origins of growing up in a ‘cult’ and that his children remain in the grips of this cultish organization. You can watch the original video below. Following this video, PewDiePie gave Jesus a shout-out, linking directly to Jesus’ Patreon, on January 10, and the goal of $13,500 was quickly reached, currently sitting at $16,893, thanks to 2,893 patrons. On January 12, Jesus uploaded a follow up video titled ‘PewDiePie saves Jesus, again!’ Back in character, He explains that thanks the influx of support, he has been able to continue the custody battle. These videos have gone incredible viral in recent days, with the latest reaching over a million views in less than 24 hours. PewDiePie’s own video has over 7 million at the time of writing. The YouTube community has been taken in by Jesus’ situation, and continues to support him with further donations and merchandise purchases. However, Jesus’ states that all revenue he makes from YouTube will go to a charity for protecting dogs, rather than his own income.

  • PewDiePie roasts xQc and Lirik in incredible Among Us stream – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts xQc and Lirik in incredible Among Us stream YT: PewDiePie/InnerSlothYouTube King Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg couldn’t resist firing shots at xQc, Lirik and his other fellow streamers in a bumper Among Us session on September 25. Most of us have to cast our minds back to Fortnite to remember a game that exploded onto the scene as quickly as Among Us. InnerSloth’s party game sees a group of players try to whittle down their ranks and figure out who amongst them is the impostor, leading to a series of hilarious highlights and twists as players try and figure things out. This was no different on September 25, when a host of the world’s biggest online entertainers and content creators came together to play Among Us. One of these was PewDiePie, who employed his trademark sense of humor to roast his fellow competitors. He took shots at xQc over his lack of a G FUEL flavor, the sponsors/organizers of the big Among Us stream. “xQc it said on the G FUEL thing,” PewDiePie said, when asked who was hosting the next round. “He doesn’t even have his own flavor, I think it’s a big mistake but, whatever.” He also joked that he didn’t know who LIRIK was, or what his G FUEL flavor was. It wasn’t just PewDiePie who was causing drama though, with some streamers criticizing xQc’s conduct and how he plays Among Us. 5up, another streamer, and a very good Among Us player, called out xQc’s toxicity and suggested he has missed the point of a game like Among Us. There was also some room for impressive Among Us plays, with MoistCr1TiKaL clutching up in a 1v4, much to the delight of his viewers. He admitted to “sweating” very hard in order to pull off the last-minute play. It was certainly an eventful stream, with plenty of drama, jokes and clutch plays thrown at its competitors. As Among Us goes from strength to strength, we can expect to see far more streams of this ilk in the future.

  • PewDiePie roasts YouTube Rewind 2018 in brutal reaction video – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts YouTube Rewind 2018 in brutal reaction video PewDiePie, YouTube Rewind 2018 – YouTubeYouTube’s most-subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, spoke out about this year’s YouTube Rewind in a brutal response video on December 7 – and even feels that the site’s community is more unhappy with the platform than ever before. PewDiePie took issue with the more “political” segment of Rewind, where a group of notable YouTubers gathered around a campfire to praise creators who raised money for charity or spoke out about mental health. “You were paid!” Pewds said of the segment, seeming to specifically call out a line said by YouTuber Gabbie Hanna. “It takes a lot of bravery to be that vulnerable, and I’m so proud of this community,” Gabbie stated. “I takes a lot of bravery – and money – to be that vulnerable,” Pewds continued. He went on to discuss the overwhelming amount of dislikes the video received as opposed to previous years, noting that YouTube Rewind 2018 has a ratio of over two million dislikes to 1,500,000 likes – a massive disparity compared to 2016 and even 2017. “It was almost like people wanted to dislike it before it even came out, because the community is more unhappy with YouTube than ever,” PewDiePie commented. “Rewind… seemed like a homage to the creators that year. It was something cool to be part of. Now, I’m almost glad I’m not in it, because it’s such a cringy video at this point.” While PewDiePie expressed some disappointment that he wasn’t in last year’s Rewind, both he and the majority of YouTube’s audience appear to be displeased by this year’s video – even wondering if it’s possible to make a good Rewind, at all.

  • PewDiePie roasts “stuck up” Alinity over her 24-hour Twitch ban – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts “stuck up” Alinity over her 24-hour Twitch ban YouTube: PewDiePie / Instagram: @alinitydivineYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took shots at Twitch personality Alinity, following her recent wardrobe malfunction on camera which led to her being banned on the streaming platform. Twitch streamer Alinity kicked off a new storm of controversy when on April 24, a clothing slip-up during her broadcast netted her channel a 24-hour ban from the site. During his April 27 episode of Last Week I Asked You, PewDiePie weighed in on the incident and roasted the personality for her latest drama on the platform. Related – How Alinity became Twitch’s most controversial streamer: PewDiePie roasts Alinity for her 24-hour ban The YouTuber was in the middle of an episode of LWIAY – a series where he reacts to fan submissions on his subreddit – and came across a post featuring the Twitch streamer. “Alinity doesn’t forgive PewDiePie for calling her a Twitch thot,” the post read. After reading the caption aloud, Pewds said “Oh no!” sarcastically, before turning to the camera and joking, “How about a stuck up b**ch!” The Swede followed up with a joke about her ban. “You hear Alinity got banned recently? We did it, gamers!” He broke into laughter when he found out there had been a petition on Change.org to get her suspended. The entertainer then told his audience, “She insists it wasn’t a ban, but a suspension!” referring to tweets she had made after being penalized. (Timestamp 09:28 for mobile users.) While the Swedish star is clearly just joking around, this isn’t the first time he and Alinity have crossed paths. In 2018, the streamer became upset with him and filed a copyright strike against his channel. Pewds made a video response, and called her out at the time for boasting about it.”Alinity the most likable genius of all time, of course admits publicly to abusing copyright law. She didn’t like what I said, so she wanted to take down the video!” he said. On March 16, the popular YouTuber reacted to another clip of the streamer, this time of her being swiped at by her cat and called it a “happy ending” to the “Alinity versus cat” saga. PewDiePie was, of course, messing around, as his humor is steep in sarcasm. The YouTuber often tackles current news for his audience of over 104 million subscribers, and isn’t afraid to crack a joke. While there has been a lot of controversy surrounding Alinity’s latest ban, it should be noted that she deleted the VOD immediately after the infraction, and asked Twitch to extend her suspension beyond the 24 hours.

  • PewDiePie roasts summit1g’s “beta behavior” in viral monitor punch clip – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts summit1g’s “beta behavior” in viral monitor punch clip YouTube: PewDiePie / Twitch: summit1gYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg mocked gamers that get angry in his March 1 upload by sarcastically roasting Twitch star Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar’s infamous monitor punch clip. A debate over gamer rage was sparked after Ninja’s viral tweet argued that players getting angry is healthy behavior. YouTube’s biggest star PewDiePie referenced it in a past video calling it a “hot take.” However during his latest upload, the Swedish star weighed in on the topic further by using a popular clip that shows summit1g punching his monitor in frustration. PewDiePie roasts summit1g The popular YouTuber had to scrap his original video due to being copyright striked. So due to limited filming time, he instead reacted to a Twitter account titled “Images That Proceed Unfortunate Events.” The Swede came across a screenshot of summit1g before he raged after being killed in match of H1Z1: King of The Kill. “It’s a cursed image. It’s the one where summit punches the screen. Hilarious, who would get mad at a video game?” Pewds said. He then mockingly exclaimed “Absolute beta-behavior. [Shaking my head] very hard,” before playing the full clip which was taken from Lazar’s May 2018 broadcast. After watching it, the YouTube star laughed and said “But why? You know, I would never punch something if I got mad!” (Timestamp 00:40 for mobile users.) It all seemed in jest though, as not even Pewds’ close friend Mark ‘Markiplier’ Fischbach was spared from being roasted. The Swedish star reacted to an image that showed his YouTube colleague playing the 2017 ‘Get Over It’ game. In the clip the picture is from, Mark snaps and throws his chair after falling down. PewDiePie then exclaimed, “How did you f**k that up? F**king noobs. That’s so easy. Getting mad at video game, it’s just like why?” However the Swede also poked fun of himself as he referenced his own past of getting into trouble while playing games. “Okay, I take it back, this is no longer my favorite Twitter account,” he joked after stumbling on a photo of himself. While PewDiePie seemed to be genuinely confused as to why you would ever punch things over a video game, his reactions overall seemed to be in good fun. After all, he also threw some jabs at his own friends. Read More: Tfue weighs in on FaZe Dubs suspension – The YouTuber recently returned after a month-long break in January. • PewDiePie roasts Pokimane fan allegedly 4 months behind rent due to donations – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Pokimane fan allegedly 4 months behind rent due to donations The current king of YouTube, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, took aim at a fan of popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, who claimed that they were four months behind on their rent due to massive donations to the streamer. PewDiePie teamed up with fellow YouTuber CinnamonToastKen in a ‘try not to cringe’ challenge video, which featured a series of Tweets between two of Pokimane’s fans from October 24. Read More: KEEMSTAR calls Pokimane a “fake bitch” after she gets into it with him about online bullying – “Saw your 1k donation to her on last stream,” one user wrote. “That’s crazy, bro. I’m still below top ten donators haha, Poki squad, bro.” The donator in question replied to the Tweet, admitting that they ‘had to donate a little less this month because four months of rent were overdue.’ “Yeah man, I get it,” they replied. “My wife’s been bugging me about this holiday I promised her like eight months ago, but the squad comes first.” “If I give them money, they’ll love me,” CinnamonToastKen joked of the interaction. “That’s some next-level brainwashing, right there.” “You gotta be top [donator],” PewDiePie continued. “It’s for the squad!” This instance marks a tame reaction to streamers’ over eager fans; Drama Alert host KEEMSTAR recently went under fire for his treatment of a fan of streamer SSSniperwolf, which Pokimane vehemently decried as ‘messed up’ in a series of replies to the YouTuber over Twitter.

  • PewDiePie roasts “sociopath” David Dobrik while rating YouTuber house tours – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts “sociopath” David Dobrik while rating YouTuber house tours YouTube: PewDiePie, David DobrikYouTube star David Dobrik has finally returned to his regular vlogs after months of silence amidst multiple controversies… and while his fans are celebrating his comeback, PewDiePie has made it clear he’s not enthused about the ordeal. David Dobrik has made his grand return to YouTube after taking a lengthy hiatus amid the global health crisis, and subsequently, a slew of scandals alleged against him by former members of his ‘Vlog Squad’ friend group. After being dropped by several sponsors and losing hundreds of thousands of subscribers, Dobrik uploaded his first vlog on June 16, prompting division among the YouTube space. While some viewers are ecstatic that their favorite vlogger is back online, others are decidedly less enthusiastic about this turn of events — and Swedish YouTube paragon PewDiePie is one of them. PewDiePie was rating influencer homes in a YouTube video uploaded on June 22 when he came across David’s house tour from four months ago. Immediately, PewDiePie admitted to not being a huge fan of the vlogger, which tainted his review of Dobrik’s otherwise opulent Los Angeles home. “I think, overall, David being a sociopath and lacking any actual personality, I think that shows in this house,” he commented. “Where is he in this? It looks good, don’t get me wrong. But this is his house, and there’s no way to know that.” However, his stance changed somewhat after seeing the “alcohol everywhere,” but that didn’t prompt him to give the home a stellar grade. Overall, PewDiePie placed the home in C-Tier, claiming that he “didn’t like him.” (Topic begins at 7:30) This is far from the first time PewDiePie has thrown shade David’s way; in fact, the YouTube king has done so on several past occasions, calling him “weird” and “shady” and even stating that Dobrik gave him the same “vibes” Logan gave him before being “canceled” over his scandal in Japan in 2018. For now, David has yet to comment on PewDiePie’s thoughts about him, making for yet another episode in Kjellber’s ongoing dislike of the vlogger.

  • PewDiePie roasts Ninja for “doubling down” on Fortnite/NFL kickers tweet – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Ninja for “doubling down” on Fortnite/NFL kickers tweet In his most recent daily YouTube upload, Pewdiepie unpacked Ninja’s tweets on Fortnite and NFL kickers that went viral, and the Swedish internet superstar wasted no time in pointing out what Ninja did wrong and what he should aim for in the near future. Ninja has had a busy week, with the return of Halo to PC and his appearance on the True Geordie podcast where he declared his goal of becoming the “world’s greatest gamer.” But Ninja’s declaration of his lofty goal was preceded by a series of Saturday night tweets that set Twitter ablaze with all manner of responses, having to do with kickers in the NFL. In the now-deleted tweets, Ninja expressed his opinion that the idea of NFL kickers missing “simple kicks” didn’t make any sense to him and that there should be a pool of NFL kickers available that wouldn’t miss them. Ninja said in that first tweet that he “would love opinions on this” subject, and he certainly got plenty of those. When one person replied with a parody of Ninja’s original tweet about Fortnite players, the popular Mixer streamer responded with a fiery defense of the difficulty of Fortnite, calling the reply “s***ty” and the analogy “horrible [and] kind of embarrassing.” The tweets and replies harbored all sorts of responses from people but have finally caught the attention of one of YouTuber’s most prominent creators in PewDiePie. In his December 5 upload, titled “Ninja made a bad tweet,” Pewds took a look at Ninja’s original tweet on kicking and the divisive reply regarding Fortnite and weighed in on how the tweet was handled. When looking at the reply, Felix said “this is what ruined it for me. Like yeah, sometimes I tweet dumb s**t too, that’s fine. But then he doubled down on it!” After reading it aloud, PewDiePie focused in on the very last part of the reply, when Ninja says the Fortnite comparison was “kind of embarrassing.” “Why would it be embarrassing,” he asked, “for a random stranger to tweet at you? It’s like he’s projecting what he said as kind of embarrassing onto someone else, and he makes no sense at all. Ninja, my man, stop, get some help.” Prior to Pewdiepie weighing in on him, Felix said: “I like Ninja, don’t get me wrong.” And afterward, he said he believes Ninja does have the potential to become the world’s greatest gamer if he can do one simple thing. “Stop trying so hard. You can have that [being the world’s greatest gamer] without shoving it into people’s faces.” Ninja has taken the roasting he received from people in stride, as he followed up the next day with a parody of his original tweet about drinking too much wine. Regardless of how he approaches his goal, he’s already well on his way to potentially achieving it, as he already has one of the largest presences of any gamer in the world. At the end of the day, the most important lesson to take away from all of this is that kickers are people too.

  • PewDiePie roasts Ninja’s New Year’s Eve flossing fail – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Ninja’s New Year’s Eve flossing fail PewDiePie, YouTube / Ninja, TwitterYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took shots at popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ New Year’s Eve event, where he attempted to get all of Times Square to groove with Fortnite’s ‘floss’ dance in the cold rain. PewDiePie addressed a statement made by the dance’s creator, ‘Backpack Kid,’ during a video on January 6, where the ‘floss’ originator expressed some distaste at not being invited to help break the world record for having the most people breaking down in the dance at one time. American talk show ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ broke the record in September of 2018, with 349 people in total performing the dance for one minute. However, Ninja set out to break that record on New Year’s Eve, asking for 1 million people to bust a move with him – despite the inclement weather. PewDiePie went on to throw shade towards Ninja’s plan, calling his goal a “bad idea.” “They were trying to beat the floss record?” PewDiePie asked incredulously, laughing. “But no one did it? Imagine trying to break a world record to get a million people to do something. This just brings a whole new meaning to this whole thing!” While Ninja’s New Year’s Eve flossing experiment was ultimately met with mockery across the internet, the streamer took the fail in good humor, poking fun at himself in a Tweet shortly thereafter. “Word of advice: Dont try to get 1 million New Yorkers to dance in the rain on New Year’s,” he wrote. “Trust me.” Word of advice Dont try to get 1 million New Yorkers to dance in the rain on new years. Trust me. — Ninja (@Ninja) January 1, 2019

  • PewDiePie roasts Liver King’s “lame” apology after being exposed for steroid use – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Liver King’s “lame” apology after being exposed for steroid use YouTube: PewDiePie / Liver KingAfter TikTok star Liver King was exposed for past steroid use, and subsequently apologized for lying about it, PewDiePie has given his take, criticizing the apology for spreading a bad message. Liver King, who is most popular on TikTok, is known for his unnaturally muscular physique which he maintains at a very low body fat percentage year round. Despite denying PED use in the past, he has now been forced to admit that it was, as many suspected, not natural at all. This was particularly damning for the Liver King, as he built his brand around living like our ancestors in order to escape the pitfalls of modern life and regain confidence and improve testosterone in men especially. He made money through selling supplements that would adhere to this ‘ancestral living’, all the while not disclosing that he himself attained his incredible physique with the aid of multiple PEDs and hormone replacement therapy. After being exposed thanks to leaked emails shared by YouTuber MorePlatesMoreDates, Liver King came clean, admitting that he has in the past, and continues to use performance-enhancing compounds. Reacting to his apology, however, PewDiePie was not impressed. Having previously criticized other ‘fake naturals’ in the fitness space, the Swedish YouTuber did not buy the Liver King’s explanation. Liver King suggested his goal was to help men suffering from depression and the rising suicide rate, but PewDiePie shut this down. “He’s selling supplements, that’s really the reason… You are the problem, you are not the solution.” PewDiePie goes on to say that if Liver King had admitted this of his own volition, rather than after being exposed, he would have respected it. “But this is just performative and lame.” He also slams Liver King’s explanation that it is due to his “low self-esteem”, as though anyone with low self-esteem needs PEDs to help. “I also sometimes have low self-esteem, that is not an excuse to take steroids.”

  • PewDiePie roasts new Xbox Series X’s “goofy looking” design – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts new Xbox Series X’s “goofy looking” design Microsoft unveiled their next iteration of Xbox consoles in early December to mixed reviews over its rectangular shape — and YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg doesn’t seem to be sold on the new hardware, either. With critics across the net comparing the new Xbox Series X to PC towers (and even refrigerators), it makes sense that the highly-memeable console has made its way to Kjellberg’s popular internet show “Meme Review.” After comparing the Series X to a humorous still from Tom and Jerry, the YouTube star went on to speculate as to why Microsoft opted for a vertical design for their latest console — which he jokingly claimed could be the result of “outrage marketing.” PewDiePie laughingly explained that Microsoft may have went with a vertical tower for the hardware due to the potential attention it may have gotten, thus giving it a major spotlight in the public eye. “Speaking of Xbox, have you seen this thing?” he began. “…I swear this is the new way of multilayer marketing, where brands just make their product deliberately goofy looking so people will be like, ‘Haha, it looks stupid!’ Meanwhile, Xbox is like, ‘Free marketing, baby!’” (Timestamp: 1:39 for mobile viewers) He went on to compare the Series X to other new technology of the late 2010’s including Elon Musk’s divisive new “Cybertruck,” which was also clowned as a low-poly video game render of a car. “It looks like a fridge!” he joked. “I wonder what kind of snack you can get from that Xbox Series X. Wow, delicious.” Power Your Dreams.#XboxSeriesX #PowerYourDreams pic.twitter.com/R4ulND4KAx — Xbox (@Xbox) December 13, 2019 While it may look silly on the outside, the Xbox Series X will be backwards compatible, meaning that fans can play games from the Xbox One on a single, newer machine. Advertised as quieter than its counterparts and boasting a controller that works with the Xbox One (and vice versa), Microsoft’s fridge-shaped console is set for release in the 2020 holiday season — giving fans a full year of memes before it hits the market.

  • PewDiePie roasts Fortnite pro Aydan in new “gamer questions” video – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Fortnite pro Aydan in new “gamer questions” video L: PewDiePie: YouTube R: Aydan: Ghost GamingYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg roasted Fortnite pro Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad for not knowing what the word “misogynistic” meant. Now back from his break, Pewds is getting right back into the swing of things with his daily videos. In his February 24 upload, just his third video back from hiatus, the YouTuber dove right into a Jubilee video that asked if all pro players think the same. Of course, he couldn’t wait to give this one a watch and share his thoughts throughout. At around the three-minute mark in the video, the video began to discuss misogyny which is when Aydan had to pause what was going on because he didn’t actually know what the word meant. The segment was titled “Gaming culture is misogynistic” and as it started, the Fortnite pro revealed he wasn’t prepared to discuss the topic. “I’m not going to lie, I need the definition of that word,” he said when they stopped and asked if he was talking about misogynistic. “Yeah, what is that?” PewDiePie burst out in laughter upon hearing this and even added in a roast of his own as the video did a close up on Aydan. “Anti what,” he mocked as he went into another fit of laughter. “What’s a woman? I need a definition of that. What’s a woman?” The dictionary definition the video gives is the “dislike, or mistrust of women, or prejudice against women.” At the very least, Aydan is now aware of what the word means, so he’ll be able to avoid embarrassing blunders like this in the future. (Segment begins at 2:59) It’s obvious that PewDiePie won’t hold back on anybody, and it’s not even clear in the first place if he even knew who Aydan was before this video, but he’s certainly aware of him now. When the video moved on to discuss the topic in greater detail, the YouTube star disagreed in the regard that women get more hate online than men. “I disagree though, cause I think in general people are much harsher on men because it’s like ‘oh you can take it’.” The Swedish YouTuber certainly knows a thing or two about people being harsh to him on the internet, but whether men get more abuse than women is a different discussion entirely.

  • PewDiePie roasts his own apology video – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts his own apology video YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg uploaded a video reviewing (and ultimately roasting) the apology videos of several controversial YouTubers – including his own. PewDiePie’s original video was in response to a controversy where he used a racial slur during a livestream in September 2017, prompting an immediate wave of criticism. Felix began the review of his apology video by taking issue with his posture and his expression, claiming that he seemed angry, and that his posture was in a ‘defensive position.’ He likewise responded to his claim that the slur was said “in the heat of the moment,” which has since become a meme used in reference to the toxic side of gaming culture. “I didn’t mean for this to sound like an excuse, but it 100% comes across as an excuse,” he said of the statement. “I never should have said that.” Following these words, he played another selection from his apology video where he stated that he wasn’t making any excuses, and laughed. “…except you basically just made a bunch of excuses for it, you idiot,” he chuckled. In addition, Felix addressed his position as a prominent member of the YouTube community, which he humorously claimed that he ‘keeps forgetting.’ “If you want to make a good apology video, just be honest,” PewDiePie summed up. “Don’t think that you can try and trick the internet, because you can’t.” PewDiePie also took shots at the apology videos of YouTubers TmarTn, Laura Lee, and even Logan Paul, who has seemingly recovered from his controversy with the release of his YouTube Red movie.

  • PewDiePie roasts Dixie D’Amelio’s “weird” apartment tour – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts Dixie D’Amelio’s “weird” apartment tour YouTube: PewDiePie/Dixie D’AmelioYouTube legend PewDiePie roasted TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio’s apartment tour and didn’t hold back with his criticism. Swedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg frequently posts videos where he judges influencers’ houses. Back in August, he called Pokimane’s streaming setup “uncomfortable,” in which the OfflineTV star laughed off his reaction. In his latest video, he showcased the infamous Sway and Hype houses from TikTok as well as singer and TikTok star, Dixie D’Amelio. PewDiePie roasts Dixie D’Amelio Just like his previous video reactions, the Swedish YouTuber focused on some of the top influencers on the platform who have shown off their houses before. Hoping that he was moving onto something a bit more “chill,” Pewds was surprised when he realized Dixie D’Amelio lived in an apartment. Starting off, Felix exclaimed: “If you live in America, why the f**k would you live in a flat?” Dixie continued on to showcase her furniture, putting emphasis on the brand name which confused the YouTuber who sarcastically said: “That’s just what I wanna know as soon as the tour starts.” D’Amelio said: “This is where I stand most mornings, I drink my morning coffee and stare into other people’s apartments,” which sparked a lightbulb over Kjellberg’s head: “That’s so weird, maybe that’s why Americans love living in an apartment, they like staring at people.” The TikToker went on to reveal expensive appliances filling the corner of her apartment, like a popcorn and ice machine. Pewds questioned her choices, though, explaining that he’d rather fill it with a cozy couch: “It’s just weird putting appliances in the corner like that.” His reaction to the Sway and Hype Houses wasn’t much better, with the creator questioning design choices in both houses. The last time PewDiePie reacted to influencers’ houses, he got a response from Pokimane. We’ll have to wait to see if Dixie will choose to react to his thoughts.

  • PewDiePie roasts celeb businessmen, explains why Elon Musk is different – Dexerto

PewDiePie roasts celeb businessmen, explains why Elon Musk is different YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has explained why he has such an affinity for SpaceX founder Elon Musk, while also hitting out at Alibaba co-found Jack Ma and actor Matthew McConaughey– including mocking the latter’s “gibberish” on Instagram. While he may be on the road to 110 million YouTube subscribers, PewDiePie hasn’t slowed down his upload schedule in favor of a lighter workload. The hugely popular content creator still uploads fan-favorite series like Meme Review on a regular basis. He even throws in a few extras, including one of his recent uploads – You Laugh you DRINK – where he took aim at Jack Ma and Matthew McConaughey after going off on a tangent. Near the conclusion of his November 24 upload, Pewds had been watching a conversation between Ma and Musk when he found himself comparing the Alibaba owner to McConaughey as someone who “isn’t very smart” but they “want people to think they are” despite speaking “gibberish.” In making his point, the Swede pulled up the actor’s recently started Instagram account and showed off the first post – an inspirational message about the journey of the posts that would follow. Of course, Pewds didn’t take it that way, instead opting to mock what McConaughey was saying. “Wow, profound,” he commented, in a completely sarcastic tone. “Like, shut up dude, you’re not interesting.” Timestamp of 10 minutes for mobile viewers. When he switched back to the two entrepreneurs, the YouTuber added: “It’s the same character as Jack Ma, just saying s**t,” before noting that part of his annoyance came from a “boring-ass statement” centered around SpaceX’s exploration idea on Mars. “We have issues now with the environment that are really pressing, like yes, there are issues on this planet, there’s always been,” Pewds continued, before saying it would be “extremely irresponsible” if someone like Musk wasn’t looking for another habitable planet – which is a “commendable” effort compared to the others. The Swede wrapped up by saying he didn’t “want to hear” from someone like Ma who was looking so far inwards and at the present, rather than outwards and to the future. Of course, it won’t help any future efforts to get either Ma or McConaughey on an episode of Meme Review like Elon did, but it appears he wouldn’t be too concerned either way.

  • PewDiePie predicts David Dobrik YouTube return while roasting apology videos – Dexerto

PewDiePie predicts David Dobrik YouTube return while roasting apology videos YouTube: PewDiePie/David DobrikYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has once again weighed in on the David Dobrik Vlog Squad controversy, joking about his apologies, but believes he will return at some point. Over the last few weeks, the controversy surrounding David Dobrik and his Vlog Squad has continued to grow and grow. Former members of the YouTube collective slammed Dobrik for making them feel “worthless” in videos, while others said some of the content they made was “traumatizing.” Additionally, former Vlog Squad member Dominykas Zeglaitis, better known as ‘Durte Dom’ was accused of sexual assault, stemming back to a video made in 2018. Dobrik has apologized twice for the ongoing controversy, but has lost many of his sponsors and over 400,000 YouTube subscribers, as well as plenty more across social media. Plenty of creators and personalities have already weighed in on the drama, including PewDiePie, who called Dobrik “shady” and “weird” during a Minecraft livestream. Well, he was streaming again on March 28, and had some more words for Dobrik – including a joke about his apologies. “David Dobrik, I was right, I told you I had a weird feeling about him, look what happened,” Pewds told his viewers, referring back to his “weird” feeling about him. “He’ll be back, I’m sure he’ll be back but, he did two apology videos, right? One where he tried to brush it off and then he realized it didn’t, and he then he lost all his sponsors, and then he comes out with like a sincere apology and it’s like, damn, it took you two tries huh?” Pewds said, jokingly adding that Dobrik should have asked him for advice over the apologies. As it stands, Dobrik is still on a social media hiatus, except for Facebook where his content continues to be uploaded. However, Pewds noted that’s probably happening because of a company doing it on his behalf. It remains to be seen if he’ll return to YouTube or social media anytime soon, but for now, it seems like people are going to have a few jokes at his expense.

  • PewDiePie revives old video series in hopes of beating T-Series – Dexerto

PewDiePie revives old video series in hopes of beating T-Series Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is currently the most subscribed creator on YouTube – but Bollywood label T-Series is close behind. While T-Series lacks just over 200,000 subscribers before it can overtake Kjellberg (as of November 18), YouTube’s biggest creator may have hatched a plan to effectively defeat his Bollywood nemesis – and even promote greater audience engagement, in the process. Kjellberg announced the resurgence of his Book Review series, in which he and his audience read and review a selection of books in tandem. “You noticed how as soon as I stopped Book Reviews, T-Series swooped in out of nowhere and took over?” Kjellberg said in an announcement video on November 18. “…I must review books again. That’s what everyone wants. That’s what will stop T-Series.” PewDiePie likewise started a subreddit for the initiative, allowing his audience to recommend their own titles, as well as offer comments and criticism on the books they read together. Kjellberg admitted that he felt this dialogue was missing from his channel, stating that his focus on defeating T-Series had distracted him from making content that he personally enjoys. “Hopefully, we can have more of a dialogue going, because I felt like that was what was missing,” Pews stated. “…in this pursuit with T-Series, I’ve been too focused on the numbers, and pushing that narrative. …I also just miss doing what I feel like.” MrBeast’s citywide ad campaign, T-Series is on the rise, yet again – and their current growth could mark the final battle between the two channels. However, MrBeast teased another major project for PewDiePie’s next subscriber milestone (should the nine-year-old army hold out long enough), which could likewise incite another influx of support for the king of YouTube.

The Swedish entertainer hit out at some of their products for having “crappy” designs. PewDiePie has continued to dominate on YouTube, as his reaction content has never been more popular. Boasting over 104 million subscribers, viewers can’t seem to get enough of the Swede’s hot takes. During his latest episode, the entertainer hilariously took shots at Apple, and explained why he thinks some of their creations have questionable design choices. His takedown of these products will leave you in stitches. Related – Shroud: The World’s Most Naturally Gifted Gamer? PewDiePie roasts Apple products The YouTuber was reacting to the Reddit forum r/crappydesigns when he stumbled across a submission about the Mac Pro. He found the product’s wheel design hilarious, as the video showed the device rolling away. “The wheels on the new Mac Pro don’t have locks. They cost $550!” he said, breaking into laughter. He then sarcastically added, “I love this because it’s Apple, you know. You open their products … “Designed in California.” They wouldn’t put manufactured in China.” Pewds continued to roast the device. “Well done Californians. You did it! That looks like s**t. It looks so flipping ugly. First off, the logo is way too big, there is no style in that!” he joked. (Timestamp 00:40 for mobile users.) This wasn’t the first time the YouTuber hit out at the Cupertino-based company, as later on in the video he also mocked their wired mouse product, calling it the epitome of bad design. “Apple, on the forefront of crappy designs. THEY CANT’ KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!” he comically yelled. He then joked “Just stop buying Apple products, it’s not that hard.” The 30-year-old ended the video by explaining why bad designs bother him so much. “You can make things so much better, with smart people doing the job. It doesn’t have to be like this! That’s the problem. That is what annoys me so much.” PewDiePie was, of course, joking, as his sense of humor is soaked in sarcasm. After all, Apple wasn’t the only platform he took jabs at. “Isn’t Windows itself really poorly designed? Like we’re all just supposed to know to press control, alt, delete or alt, f4,” he joked. The popular content creator continues to dominate on his platform. On May 4, he announced that he had signed a major deal with YouTube to exclusively stream on their service.

  • PewDiePie reveals why he originally “refused” to make Minecraft videos – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals why he originally “refused” to make Minecraft videos PewDiePie, YouTube / MojangYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg reins as the most subscribed independent creator on the platform, following his long-lasting battle with Bollywood label T-Series: but now, the Swede has started to focus on popular sandbox game Minecraft, rather than keeping his top spot on the site. While PewDiePie’s popular shows like “LWIAY” and “Pew News” were once a hit with fans, he’s since stepped away from the format to bring his channel back to its origins in gaming, taking a deep dive into Minecraft with increasingly positive results. However, it wasn’t always so: in fact, PewDiePie claimed that he had once “refused” to play the game early in his career, as told during a “Meme Review” episode on July 25. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/Byz9bs_gwzb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkAccording to Kjellberg, Minecraft’s initial explosive boom was akin to the likes of Fortnite’s current popularity, which made content using the game appear disingenuous to the YouTuber at the time. “Minecraft became so explosively popular,” PewDiePie explained. “And everyone would just play it. It felt like people were playing it just because it was popular, and not because they were actually [having fun] doing it.” (Timestamp: 5:25 for mobile viewers) Kjellberg likewise claimed that he didn’t want to fall off after becoming a channel dedicated exclusively to Minecraft content, claiming that if he gets bored of the title, he can just “move on to something else.” Despite his original distaste for the title, PewDiePie has effectively become a “Minecraft YouTuber,” putting so much time into the game that he claims he “doesn’t care” about internet drama like Twitch streamer Alinity Divine’s cat-tossing scandal. “I haven’t paid attention to what anyone’s doing,” PewDiePie continued. “It’s so goddamn liberating. Alinity threw a cat? Okay, great, I don’t care!” PewDiePie’s Minecraft binge has even helped him reach another major milestone on YouTube, skyrocketing him to 98 million subscribers – just two million away from his previously coveted 100 million subscriber mark. While Kjellberg has since put his feud with T-Series to bed, it doesn’t look like his road to 100 million is stopping anytime soon, with fans across the internet regularly tuning in to his Minecraft uploads despite his lack of internet controversy.

  • PewDiePie reveals workout routine that helped him get “shredded” – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals workout routine that helped him get “shredded” YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie Kjellberg uploaded a video detailing the workout routine that helped get him shredded. The Swede detailed his regimen after a photo of his ripped physique went viral in May. The Swedish YouTuber went viral on May 21 after his wife Marzia posted a photo of him looking ripped on Instagram. Fans of the content creator were stunned by his incredible body transformation. For his May 28 upload, PewDiePie detailed the exercise routine that helped get him into shape. He also explained how diet and philosophy contributed to him reaching his current physique. PewDiePie reveals exercise routine During his latest video, the YouTuber explained that he had gone to a gym and had a personal trainer in the past, but eventually fell off. This led to him buying his own bench and a set of weights, and revealed the regimen that works for him. “So on Mondays, I do push exercises, I do heavily on chest, and I finish off with shoulders. Tuesdays, I do legs, squats, dead-lifts, lunges. Wednesday, I do pull exercises. Thursday, I do leg again. And Friday, I finish with a mix of push and pull,” he detailed. Pewds explained that he just Google searched “Five Day Dumbbell Workout” and linked to an example of it in the description of the video. Although, he cautioned viewers that lifting weights is not enough, and that a change in diet is also required to achieve the best results. For the Swede, an increase in proteins such as nuts and meats, and largely cutting out alcohol and sugar made a big difference. In the upload, he confessed, “Looking back on my drinking habits, I look back on it with detest and shame of my past self. Sensational pleasures don’t bring happiness. It’s always fleeting.” (Topic starts at 10:52.) PewDiePie’s workout equipment While the Swede didn’t go into details about the specific equipment models, based on what he shows in the video it looks like he’s using a DTX Fitness Folding Weight Bench, and PowerBlock Sports Series Interchangeable Dumbbell Set up to 90lbs. The content creator also keeps himself motivated by keeping a detailed journal of the reps he completed the week before. In his notes, he reveals he had injured his arm previously. Warning viewers, he exclaimed, “Don’t make the same mistakes I made. Properly warm up. Make the right movements!” He then detailed further injuries he has suffered so far. “If you get injured, you are out for three weeks. I also hurt my back from lifting down the dumbbells. If you’re working out with dumbbells be careful! Take it slow!” PewDiePie explained that staying consistent with weight lifting matters, however it was his love of philosophy that pushed him harder to get into great shape. “Body and soul are deeply connected. And I wanted them to match,” he said. If nothing else, the YouTube star is an example of how hard work and dedication can really pay off, and that you don’t need an expensive gym to get shredded.

  • PewDiePie reveals why he’s taking another break from YouTube – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals why he’s taking another break from YouTube YouTube: PewDiePiePopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg announced that he is taking another break from making content. The Swedish star’s leave has fans wondering when he will make his return. In 2020, PewDiePie surprised viewers when he revealed that he was taking his first break ever from YouTube. Prior, the content creator had never missed a single day of uploading to the platform for over 10 years. Fans will have to go without his content again in 2021, as he announced on January 8 that he is taking another leave of absence from making videos. When will he back? PewDiePie announces second break from YouTube PewDiePie made the announcement on January 8 in a community post on his channel. “I FORGOT TO MENTION A FEW THINGS! I’m taking some time off to chill, epic,” the entertainer wrote at the beginning of his update. The star then went on to reveal that his community had raised an astonishing $900k in 2020 for charity. Since making the move to livestreaming, Pewds has given away all of his subscriber fees and chat donations to various organizations throughout the year. Fans of YouTuber shouldn’t be too surprised with his second break as Kjellberg told his community on numerous occasions that he planned on taking a second vacation in 2021. “I feel like it’s fair. Any other job you get holidays and I don’t do that. And this year has been pretty crazy. It’s good for my mental health,” he explained in June. When will PewDiePie return to YouTube? Last year, the YouTuber officially took his break on January 15 and didn’t return until February 21 – which was roughly 37 days. However, during his January 6 Minecraft livestream, the 31-year-old told fans he was undecided on how long his vacation this year would actually be. “I might not stream for a while either, just to take some full time off, and come back fully charged. So I’ll be offline for a week, two weeks, maybe three weeks. I don’t know. I know it’s kind of a ball-buster to end here, but I don’t really take breaks and I feel like I just need it. So…” he said. (Topic starts at 4:02:06) It’s unclear at the time of writing if PewDiePie will eventually stream during his break, or whether he will go completely silent like he did last year while on vacation. Though it appears he won’t be making video uploads for the duration of his time off. Fans will no doubt severely miss him. In 2020, his popular r/Pewdiepiesubmissions subreddit hilariously turned to chaos and made hilarious jokes about his absence from YouTube. If nothing else, we can look forward to the memes.

PewDiePie reveals he’s moving to Japan Instagram: PewDiePieYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has opened up about his plans move to Japan in a recent livestream, discussing the plans for his move. The YouTube sensation currently lives in the UK, and has done for many years, since moving from his home nation of Sweden. In fact, he has lived in a variety of countries, but his next move is set to be Japan. Now married to long-time partner Marzia, who quit YouTube last year, PewDiePie’s love for Japan could mean a permanent move is on the cards. The pair spent their second honeymoon in the country in October. The newly-weds have visited Japan frequently.600 In his livestream on DLive on October 9, Kjellberg said that they are making plans to move “early next year”, and explains that they can hopefully take their dogs and sort VISAs to stay on a more permanent basis. However, there are some roadblocks to this plan, as he explains, regarding acquiring the VISA, due to European law, “We don’t know how long we’re going to stay in Japan,” PewDiePie said. “It depends on a lot of things like taxes and VISAs. Under EU law, I have to be in the UK for a certain amount of days or I’ll be taxed in another country.” PewDiePie and Marzia have fallen in love with Japan. He also explains that he “benefits from Brexit” because he “gets less taxes” but he doesn’t support it. “It feels so backwards, I don’t even know how we’ll work with countries, like that was the only good thing about Europe, that you can travel to other countries and live there if you wanted to.” He also explained that, although he would love to do a house tour of their new Japanese abode, he is concerned that viewers would be able to determine his address. He first revealed that they had bought a house in Japan in his September 30 video (timestamp at 19:07) but had not mentioned the potential move. Their latest trip to Tokyo went well, with the exception of Marzia injuring herself after an accident with a knife, which apparently dropped and landed tip first in her toe. She assured fans all was well though, and the newly-weds beamed about their trip on Instagram. PewDiePie did express some concerns about living there though, particularly the “conservative” culture, as he described it. Namely, Tattoos are often deemed inappropriate due to their historical ties to the Yakuza; Japanese criminal gangs. As for the internet though, which is of course crucial in his line of work, Pewds says he believes it’s possibly better than his service in the UK, so he’s all covered on that front.

PewDiePie reveals why he doesn’t want to take a break from YouTube YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is finally taking his long-awaited break from daily uploads — but he’s not necessarily keen on this hiatus, as revealed in his video on the topic. YouTube’s most-subscribed content creator unveiled his vacation plans in mid-December, marking a major turn from his usual schedule of daily videos. Although he claimed he’d be taking a break in 2020, he didn’t say how long he’d be gone, nor exactly when he’d step away from the platform — but it seems that the time has finally come, according to his statement in a January 15 video. In an upload titled, “It’s been real, but I’m out!” PewDiePie announced that he’s taking his long-awaited vacay, at last, even if he’s a bit wary of stepping back for a short while. According to the Swede, his love for creating content nearly exceeds his need to relax, although he isn’t letting that temptation steer him away from his much-needed mental reset from constant work. “The truth is, I don’t wanna go on break,” he admitted. “The truth is, I love making videos. I just feel like I need to do this. I need to do this, so one last LWIAY!” (Topic begins at 0:30 for mobile readers) He echoed this sentiment near the end of his final video, but revealed that 2019 had been so hectic for him that he needs to “cool down” from all the drama. “One thing I really realized is like, I love making videos, and I love interacting with you guys,” he continued. “It’s really fun. But I think this year, there’s just been so much piling up that I’m like, ‘I should probably just cool down for a bit.’ And then, we’ll come back with 10,000 percent!” While PewDiePie himself isn’t sure when he’ll return, he isn’t gone for good — in spite of media speculation to the contrary, which he denounced shortly after announcing his hiatus in December. For now, fans will have to await his comeback in wake of one of his most successful (and tumultuous) years of his career, thus far.

  • PewDiePie reveals why he’s chosen to stream on DLive over YouTube or Twitch – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals why he’s chosen to stream on DLive over YouTube or Twitch Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg, the world’s largest YouTuber, has chosen to live stream on DLive over top competitors such as Twitch, YouTube and Mixer. In a video released on April 9, the Swedish YouTuber revealed that he had a big announcement on the future of his livestreaming plans. Currently, whenever PewDiePie does decide to livestream, he does it on YouTube but he has now revealed that won’t be the case going forward – as he is making the switch to DLive for all of his future streams. What is DLive? The big selling point of using DLive is the fact the platform won’t take any cut of your earnings. If you’re just getting started out on Twitch, you will have your subs split 50/50 with Twitch until you become partnered where you’ll then be able to negotiate a different contract. As a hugely popular platform, Twitch has a ton of established creators that have loyal audiences, so those looking to make it in the streaming world might actually consider a switch to DLive – especially if PewDiePie is able to bring a lot of new eyes to the platform. You can read much more about DLive by checking out their welcome letter. Why PewDiePie using DLive is a big deal While PewDiePie does have a following on other social media platforms, Twitter, for example, he has, by and large, made a name for himself on YouTube. YouTube does feature its own livestreaming service, but Pewds has opted to ditch the platform and switch to DLive for regular streams. He has not yet announced what viewers can expect on the platform, such as whether he’ll be playing a game or just talking with viewers, so we might have to wait until the actual stream for information on that. What we can expect, however, is a lot of monetary donations to other creators so it’ll be worth tuning in just to see what ideas Pewds has to redistribute the cash with.

In July 2023, they gave birth to their first child, Bjorn, after initially announcing the pregnancy earlier that year. Bjorn’s birth was met with adoration from fans as the couple revealed the big news on Instagram and later, in a vlog. Influencers’ choices to show their children in their content has always been a tricky subject; many family channels, such as the ACE Family, have come under fire for sharing aspects of their kids’ lives with strangers online and putting their young’uns in front of the camera for all to see. PewDiePie reveals why he shows baby Bjorn in his YouTube vlogs However, PewDiePie explained why he and Marzia made the decision to show Bjorn in their vlogs, saying that their son is such a huge part of their lives that it only made sense to include him. That’s not all; the YouTuber also admitted that he finds his baby so darn adorable that he wants everyone to see just how cute he is for themselves. “We weren’t sure how much of Bjorn we would show, but he’s such a big part of our lives that it sort of happens,” he revealed in a September 15 vlog. “And he’s so cute that I can’t help but wanting to show him.” “I just think it would be fun to see. Like, I would love to see videos of me as a kid more. Well-edited by professional editor Marzia.” (Topic begins at 14 minutes) Fans are seemingly happy with the YouTube couple’s decision, with one commenter writing in response: “Björn is gonna have so many beautiful memories to watch over when he’s all grown up, and can then rewatch his dad’s and mom’s youth, which is so cool!” PewDiePie has been open about his transition into parenthood alongside Marzia — a journey that’s tugging at fans’ heartstrings with every upload.

  • PewDiePie explains why he considered deleting his YouTube account – Dexerto

PewDiePie explains why he considered deleting his YouTube account PewDiePie, YoutubeYouTube megastar Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has revealed there have been times that he’s considered deleting his broadcasting account over the years, despite boasting one of the biggest followings on the video-sharing platform. The Swedish superstar has been no stranger to controversies over the years as he rolled on to more than 100 million subscribers on his channel, from his follower-race with Indian entertainment company T-Series that descended into an ‘us vs them’ conflict, to being accused of supporting neo-Nazi ideologies and white nationalism. According to PewDiePie, these controversies, or “oopsies” as he calls them, has left him considering a massive decision — abandoning YouTube, and leaving the limelight forever. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Kjellberg lifted the lid on the fact that he did come close to deactivating his flagship account “from time to time,” and shared his thoughts on the moments that have splashed his name across the media around the world. The internet sensation admitted he “periodically” considered turning away from the streaming gamer life and spending his days lounging on a hammock alongside wife and former fellow YouTube star Marzia. “Don’t tempt me,” he said, and admitted he often weighs up both sides of the idea. “I kind of question if the positives outweighs the negative. It’s a lot more than I think I signed up for.” PewDiePie held the crown for the highest subscriber count for six years, before T-Series dethroned him earlier this year, but Kjellberg revealed falling into second place didn’t really bother him. Instead, he said he often looks back to the early days when he had far fewer fans, and wishes he could go back to those times. Part of his retrospective outlook on his explosive career on YouTube comes from the fact that he’s become a leading personality for hundreds of thousands of fans. The Swedish star said he took a long time to come to that fact, and tried to ignore it at first. “My job is just: I go to my office; I record a video in front of a camera. It’s weird for me to be in this position, because I don’t really want to be in this position,” he said. According to Kjellberg, the moment he realized he had become more than just a guy in front of a camera was in the wake of the New Zealand shooting, when the shooting suspect declared “Subscribe to PewDiePie” at the beginning of his livestream. Read more: Minecraft. He called for fans to stop asking for people to ‘subscribe’. He even donated $50,000 to the Anti-Defamation League, though that didn’t go exactly how he planned. “I’ve finally come to terms with the responsibility I have as a creator,” he said. Deactivating the ‘PewDiePie’ account isn’t the only major life move the Kjellbergs have been considering either, with the couple revealing they had fallen in love with Japan, and were aiming to relocate to their recently purchased Tokyo house. Luckily for PewDiePie fans, it doesn’t seem like his plans to call time on his career any time soon. With his Minecraft series still going strong, and more announced content coming in the near future, it seems like YouTube’s biggest gamer isn’t going anywhere just yet. –

  • PewDiePie reveals why he almost deleted his YouTube channel – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals why he almost deleted his YouTube channel PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg celebrated 10 years on the platform on May 5, acknowledging his decade of content with a thorough review of his older videos — where he revealed a surprising fact about an old prank. While PewDiePie has long been one of YouTube’s most successful creators, internet stardom isn’t all sunshine and roses, as he revealed during his May 5 review of videos uploaded throughout his career. Looking over his vlogs from 2015-2016, where he traveled to Los Angeles to film his infamous “Scare PewDiePie” special, he revealed that he’d been “overworked” by the network during this time. Kjellberg also brought up a meme from back then, where he’d jokingly threatened to delete his channel — but, as it so happens, it wasn’t actually much of a joke. “I don’t know if I said this before… I meme’d it like, ‘Haha, got you,’ but the original idea was intentional, because I just was so done,” he admitted. “I was so overworked. It was way too much.” That’s not all: the YouTube star also revealed he’d grown tired of the fame from his position as a top entertainer and claimed that he’d missed his smaller audience from his earlier days in comparison to his explosive success. “I was fed up with being so famous,” he continued. “I just realized I wasn’t enjoying it. It was a time when I wished I had a smaller channel and no one knew who I was, kinda. I missed those times, back in 2012, when it was just me and my audience, and the acceleration and the hype. I felt like I had lost that.” (Topic begins at 9:57 for mobile readers) Despite scoring a book deal and filming a YouTube Original series, PewDiePie has historically been adamant that fame and money are not equitable to happiness, as argued during his video reacting to critics upset by his wealth. Having reached a milestone 10 years on YouTube and a record 104 million subscribers, Kjellberg has seen both the good and the bad sides of being internet famous — but it’s no secret that he’s grateful for his fanbase, thanking them for spending an entire decade watching his content, all the way from horror let’s plays to LWIAY years later.

  • PewDiePie reveals which YouTubers he would beat in a fight – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals which YouTubers he would beat in a fight Many people might know Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg as the King of YouTube but should any other content creators try to throw him off his throne, he’s revealed which YouTubers he would be able to win in a fight – and it’s hilarious. The Swedish video maker assembled a list of YouTubers during a video uploaded to his channel on November 11, including both KSI and Logan Paul, following their highly anticipated rematch at the Staples Center just two days previous where JJ came out on top. There were a number of other high profile names on the list, too, including his Friday Fortnite teammate James Charles, the leader of TeamTrees, MrBeast, and many more. But, who does he really think he could defeat in a proper, good old-fashioned fight? During the video, a table was thrown together to show viewers how much of a chance he thought he would have against each YouTuber on the list, ranging from ‘They would kick my ass’ to ‘Fair Fight” and lastly ‘I would kick their ass.’ There was a side plot, though, and that was an option to throw the person into a pool of lava to ensure victory, something Minecraft makes possible. PewDiePie has never been mentioned in the conversation for a YouTube boxing match before, but after considering how it would go down if he stepped into the ring with KSI, he swiftly decided his opponent would come out on top – unless he threw him into a pit of lava. Timestamp in video below at 8:11. As for Logan Paul, following his loss on November 9, the Swede believes it would be a fair fight, but he did start off in his ‘They would kick my ass section’. He said: “Logan Paul, he is bigger than me, I’ll give him that, maybe tiny bit stronger than me, I’ll give him that. “Would Logan Paul kill me? He has an affinity for dead people so absolutely he would kill me,” he added, before eventually pulling him back into the ‘Fair Fight ‘section – claiming he could beat him on last stand, just like Call of Duty. James Charles was consigned to the beatable section, as was Tana Mongeau, Shane Dawson, Ninja, Will Smith, and a few others. Whether or not he would be able to pull off wins against those mentioned in the video is unknown, but he certainly seemed confident about some of the selections – that’s for sure.

  • PewDiePie reveals what would make him retire from YouTube – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals what would make him retire from YouTube YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]During an interview with Anthony Padilla, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed when it would be the right time to retire his YouTube channel. The Swedish star told the Smosh creator that he’s considered leaving in the past. For over the last decade, PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment for viewers from around the world. The star is currently YouTube’s top individual content creator with over 105 million subscribers to his channel. On July 24, he sat down for an in-depth interview with Smosh creator Anthony Padilla to discuss what it’s like to be the most popular entertainer on the platform. The 30-year-old also revealed why he could eventually stop making videos. PewDiePie on what would make him retire from YouTube During the interview, Padilla asked the star if he had an eventual “end goal” for his YouTube channel. Pewds replied by revealing the circumstances that would make him walk away from making content. “I just want to keep having fun with it, and once I stop having fun with it, that will probably be the time to go. But I have no idea when that is,” he explained. He then laughed and said, “Looking back in 2013, I remember being like, “Okay, maybe another 2 years,” but now it’s just like, I guess I’ll just keep going.” The Smosh personality then asked the YouTuber if he still found his busy workload fulfilling. Laughing, PewDiePie said, “I will probably scale down more and more as I go. But yeah, I still enjoy doing it.” (Topic starts at 17:06.) While the 30-year-old has no plans to retire anytime soon, he also explained why he needed to take a one-month long break to avoid “YouTuber Burnout.” In January, the creator put his channel on hiatus for the first time in a decade. “Honestly, I had made videos for so long, like 10 years, that I just got this sort of YouTube-life crisis. I don’t know what to call it. I’m just like ‘Am I going to spend another 10 years and never take a break? What the f**k am I doing? This is insane!’” he said. The star revealed the much-needed vacation made him realize he doesn’t need to keep making content to be happy. “[Taking a break] for a month taught me a lot about myself. Even though I missed YouTube, I also realized I can totally live without it.” Since returning from his vacation at the start of 2020, PewDiePie has become one of the top streamers in the world. In March, he signed a deal with YouTube to broadcast exclusively on their platform, which has seemed to pay off as he pulls in over 60,000 viewers each time he goes live.

  • PewDiePie reveals when his Minecraft series will return – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals when his Minecraft series will return PewDiePie/MojangYouTube superstar Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has revealed when he will make his return to Minecraft after recently changing his mind on ditching the series for good. Even though it has been around since 2009, Minecraft has exploded in popularity again in recent months after content creators across YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer decided to hop back and play the hugely popular sandbox title. Though, when it comes to Minecraft, there aren’t many bigger names than PewDiePie. The Swede’s series centering around his Bro Land save has become pretty legendary – with him even going as far as changing his mind about canceling the series after fans pleaded with him to keep going. While Pewds hasn’t returned just yet, he’s revealed when he will do so. During his June 14 episode of Last Week I Asked You, Felix showed a post from his subreddit that pointed out that he was approaching the birthday of Sven – his Minecraft dog.“24 days until Sven’s Birthday! Epic!” Pewds said, reading the post, before he added his own take on things. “I guess now we know when I will return to Minecraft boys. It’s happening,” Pewds added before jokingly saying “smash like” and moving on to the next post. For anyone confused about the date that was being alluded to for Sven’s birthday, it’s actually Friday, July 3. Timestamp of 9:35 for mobile viewers Now, of course, this all likely means that the Swede will have a video all set to go on July 3 as he throws a celebration for his pet – and knowing what Pewds has cooked up in Minecraft before, it’s sure to be a pretty lavish party. As for seeing him make a full-time return to Minecraft, PewDiePie said that he would play the game anytime something was updated, so once Sven’s birthday has come and gone, fans could be in for a little bit of a wait.

  • PewDiePie reveals what he hates the most about YouTube – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals what he hates the most about YouTube In his December 7 upload, Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg unloaded on all the things he hates about YouTube, as his lengthy list of criticisms roasted trends on the video-hosting platform. PewDiePie has had one hell of a year, reaching over 102 million subscribers on his channel in August, marrying his best friend Marzia ‘CutiePie’ Bisognin in the same month, and even buying a house in Japan. The undisputed king of YouTube was even featured in this year’s “Rewind” – an end of the year video that the video hosting platform puts out annually – after accumulating the most views in 2019. However, the Swede used his latest upload to hilariously roast the trends that content creators have adopted, and called out all the “annoyances” he has with the site. PewDiePie explains what he hates the most about YouTube The 30-year-old opened up his video by explaining that he was going to go off on a rant about people on the platform. “I just wanted to rant today about some stuff that I notice some YouTubers do that is weird.” He then began to list things off, starting with “YouTubers have no idea what they are doing, so they just copy everyone else!” before he gave an example of how many content creators have copied SSSniperWolf’s thumbnail style. The gamer originally used a strip of red in her backgrounds, and now many creators do the same thing. “For whatever reason, people think this is worth replicating. This tiny bit of red, that’s what’s gonna get you views!” he laughed. Pewds explained how annoying he finds “descriptions” on videos, and the unnatural way people talk to hit keyword searches. “I’ve been told by YouTube to write better descriptions. And I just could not care less. I don’t want to. It’s just so lame!” The Swede then went off on the trend of YouTubers making reaction faces in thumbnails. “After you’ve done a thousand of these stupid faces, it’s like no, I’m done. I’m officially done. I’ve done too many!” he exclaimed. Lastly, he called out YouTubers such as JonTron for their repetitive promotion of the mobile game Raid: Shadow Legends. “I’m not gonna hate on people for getting bread on YouTube. But for f**k’s sake, stop! It’s the same script for everyone!” (Timestamp 00:27 for mobile users.) The video was all in good fun though, as the YouTube king also turned the tables as he asked his fans on Twitter what they found annoying about YouTubers like himself. PewDiePie continues to be a pivotal voice on the video sharing platform, as he was ranked as the number one most viewed channel during this year’s Rewind, as well as having the second most liked video in 2019.

  • PewDiePie reveals what he would have done if his YouTube channel failed – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals what he would have done if his YouTube channel failed YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg opened up to his audience during his November 15 upload, and revealed what his plans were if his YouTube channel had not succeeded, while also taking shot at ‘Zoomers’ for depending too much on their parents. PewDiePie is the undisputed king of YouTube with over 102 million subscribers and rising. However, the online personality came from humble roots in Sweden, where he initially was attending university to study Economics, before pursuing a career in entertainment. The Swede has been open with fans before about his past, detailing in previous interviews how he was worked at a hot-dog stand to pay for his bills when initially starting his YouTube channel. The YouTuber even revealed that he once applied to work for Minecraft dev Mojang. However, during his latest video, Felix revealed what he would have ended up doing had his YouTube career not panned out, while critiquing ‘Generation-Z’s’ “entitled” behavior, and expecting their parents to bail them out. PewDiePie’s YouTube backup plan The popular personality told his audience that before he started his YouTube career, he realized he no longer wanted to continue his education at university “When I didn’t want to go study the thing I was studying at school, I had a good degree, I had a good future,” he said. “But I didn’t like it. It wasn’t for me.” The Swede then explained that in order to do that, he had to take responsibility for his decision. “I got a job and I did both,” he said. “And if YouTube wouldn’t have worked out after a year, I think I said I was going to take a year, I would have just one back to school.” He then took his aim at Zoomers, who he argues depend too much on their parents. “But these kids are depending on their parents. And for some reason the parents are paying for it!” he exclaimed. The YouTube king then continued his rant, criticizing the generation below him, and said, “Then they become entitled by the whole thing. It’s embarrassing to watch!” before explaining why them obsessing over wanting to be famous is “useless.” (Timestamp 19:05 for mobile users.) https://youtu.be/YnPs3rsOnNc?t=1145 PewDiePie continues to have one of the best years of his life, reaching his 100 million subscriber milestone on August 14, marrying his best friend Marzia ‘CutiePie’ Bisognin only a fews day later on the 19th, and moving to Japan in October. The popular YouTube star made his return to gaming in June, when he launched his wildly popular Minecraft series, and continues to put out successful reaction videos. Fans are no doubt breathing a sigh of relief that the YouTube king decided not to give up on his video-creating career, otherwise they wouldn’t have the Pewds they know and love today.

PewDiePie reveals the secret to his successful relationship with Marzia Instagram: @itsmarziapie @tsuki_market[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]During his July 27 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg opened up about his relationship with his wife Marzia. He revealed why he thinks they were successful after reacting to a dating coach who made a video about them. PewDiePie has been the face of YouTube over the last decade, as he went from his humble Swedish roots in 2010 to becoming the platform’s most popular individual content creator with over 106 million subscribers. During his latest upload, the star decided to watch dating coach Anthony Recenello’s take on his relationship with his wife Marzia. Reacting to it, the Swede gave his own tips to viewers on how to meet the right person. PewDiePie reveals success to relationship with Marzia In May, dating coach Anthony Recenello made a video on PewDiePie and his wife Marzia where he gave his analysis of their relationship. Reacting to it on July 27, Pewds agreed that it’s better to meet someone who has a lifestyle you are comfortable with. “He has a good point, especially when I was younger I was like never a party guy, but I kind of felt like I had to be to meet girls. So I was like “I love to party!” … You pretend you’re someone else, but it’s not gonna be a long-lasting relationship doing that,” he said. However, he disagreed with Recenello about having a lot in common with Marzia when they first met. “I don’t think me and Marzia necessarily shared that many interests when we met. We both loved Japan, but that is something we found we loved together. We love our pugs, but I didn’t used to love pugs. She introduced me to that,” he continued. PewDiePie then gave his viewers tips for dating based on his relationship with Marzia. “I think the biggest tip I can give from me and Marzia’s relationship is just being honest with each other 100%. Talk to each other.” He then laughed, “Yeah I’m not good at giving advice.” (Topic starts at 12:42.) The YouTuber was also critical of people who have strict “criteria” when dating. “I keep thinking how stupid it is for people to have these criterias of who they want to meet, because it’s like if you really like someone, you aren’t going to give a f**k about these criteria,” he said. PewDiePie and Marzia met in 2011, and got married in August 2019. The pair documented the emotional wedding ceremony with an six-minute video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel. While the 30-year-old content creator didn’t entirely agree with the dating coach’s take on his relationship, the star gave viewers a little insight into why his marriage is so strong.

PewDiePie reveals what he hates about working with other YouTubers YouTube: PewDiePieDuring his latest upload Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg opened up to viewers about the one thing he hates the most about YouTube collaborations. The Swedish star revealed an annoying thing some content creators do when asking to work with him. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] With over 107 million subscribers to his channel, PewDiePie has undisputedly been the face of YouTube for the last decade. The entertainer has fans all around the world. Over the course of his career, Kjellberg has gotten to collaborate with some of the platform’s top creators. However, according to the 31-year-old, there is one aspect of working with his peers that he can’t stand. PewDiePie reveals one thing he dislikes about YouTube collabs In past interviews, the YouTuber has explained that he loves to work with other online creators. In 2020, his move to streaming has already seen him team up with Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, and even former rapper Logic. During his November 16 upload, PewDiePie revealed what is a deal breaker for him when it comes to collaborations. “I do get a lot of ask for collabs. Whenever this collab goes through someone’s agent or like my manager, I’m like ‘Nah, no f**king way’,” he said. The star then clarified that he would rather be asked about it directly. “That is just so corporate. What the f**ck are you doing? Just ask me.” He then jokingly mocked an agent and said “Hey Felix, we should collaborate. We think it would do great for you!” (Topic stars at 07:49) In a 2019 update vlog, the 31-year-old explained to his fans that he’s actually an introvert, and can sometimes be “socially awkward” – something he joked about during his November video. PewDiePie does like working with other YouTubers, but those looking to collab with him should just ask the Swede directly and avoid going through their agent or manager. In May, Kjellberg signed a major streaming exclusivity deal with Google. The star’s move to live entertainment has already been a massive success, as he continues to be one of the most watched streamers in the world.

  • PewDiePie reveals that he’s already “retired” from YouTube – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals that he’s already “retired” from YouTube YouTube: PewDiePieFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is YouTube’s most subscribed independent creator — but it looks like his career as a full-time influencer has already hit a major turning point. While PewDiePie has long reigned as one of YouTube’s biggest personalities, he rose to the top of the platform in 2018, after battling with Indian music label T-Series to become the site’s number one self-driven channel. Boasting well over 107 million subscribers, Kjellberg’s career is certainly something to behold; but his time grinding videos and live streams has already come to an end, according to his answer during a November 12 Q&A session. One fan asked the YouTuber if he’d ever retire: a concept he claims he actually put into motion a few months ago. “Bruh, I never have to work again,” he joked. “I don’t have to be here. Do you understand? I’ve already retired, I just decided a couple of months ago. I’m doing YouTube at a more low pace. I’m sorry.” “That means I am not uploading as frequently as I am,” he continued. “I just decided: F**k it. I’m retired. Have you noticed any difference?” Despite effectively “retiring” from the YouTube grind, he’s very much still active on the platform, and opened up about what keeps him on the website in a subsequent answer to another fan query. While at first he joked that “money” was his main motivator, he quickly clarified by stating that he truly enjoys interacting with his viewers and creating content. “I really enjoy interacting with my fans,” he answered. “I know that sounds cliche, and yes, it probably is, but it’s true. I still read comments, I love making videos, I love filming videos. Let’s be real here — Sive does all the hard work. I just get to do all the fun stuff.” (Topic begins at 5:30) While PewDiePie has taken a few lengthy breaks in the past — and plans to take another one in January 2021 — it seems that the Swede has no plans to indefinitely leave YouTube at the present moment. Instead, he has “retired” from the ever-present grind that often results in “creator burnout” — and it looks like his fans are loving it.

  • PewDiePie reveals the biggest reason why he loves living in Japan – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals the biggest reason why he loves living in Japan YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg finally made the move to Japan after years of waiting — and he says the country has some major unexpected benefits for him. PewDiePie is the most-followed individual creator on YouTube. Boasting over 111 million subscribers, it’s almost impossible for the Swedish influencer to avoid being recognized in public. In fact, Kjellberg has begged fans in the past to allow him some private moments in public settings, noting one particular story where he was mobbed by viewers while eating dinner with his wife, Marzia. After living in the United Kingdom for some time, Felix, Marzia, and their two pugs finally made the move to Japan. The process was held off for years due to the global health crisis. Although the pair are still settling in, Felix says that he’s in a sort of ‘honeymoon’ phase with the country and has a hard time finding faults with his new surroundings. Even better — he claims that he hardly gets recognized in public anymore, something that makes up one of the major reasons why he loves living far away from the West. PewDiePie reveals biggest benefit of living in Japan as an influencer “I never cared for attention,” he stated in a June 6 Q&A video. “I always smile when I meet people. It genuinely brightens me up. I mean that. But — and I think people recognize this in my vlogs — I can kind of let my guard down a bit in public.” “That’s also, honestly, part of the reason we like Japan. No one knows who we are here, and I really enjoy that. As much as I like meeting you guys, I do also enjoy that. But also, don’t misunderstand me. I also appreciate people coming and just saying hi for a bit.” (Topic begins at 13:36) The YouTuber also clarified that he does still get recognized from time to time, but usually by other foreigners or people wanting to practice their English. For now, this marks a major change in PewDiePie’s life — and another big chapter for YouTube’s biggest star.

  • PewDiePie reveals surprising pick for his “worst controversy” ever – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals surprising pick for his “worst controversy” ever YouTuber, but he revealed a surprise pick for what he believes to be his “worst controversy” ever in a recent video uploaded on October 27. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has never shied away from controversy; it’s something that comes part and parcel with the fame he has garnered as the most-subscribed YouTuber in the world. But in his latest video, Pewds addresses what he believes to be his worst controversy yet, and it’s definitely not one you would expect. “What is my most controversial video?” he asks. “B***h Lasagna? Bridge?” he says, referencing a viral music video and a moment he uses the N-word while playing PUBG live on stream. “Nope,” he says. “It’s why I don’t like Marvel movies. This is the worst dislike ratio I have on any video. My main criticism of the Marvel movies was that no one actually dies… I was proven wrong.” This is definitely surprising from PewDiePie, especially given how controversial moments such as ‘the Bridge’ were, with the publicity and responses that came from it. However, his reasoning makes sense: this video has the worst like to dislike ratio of any of his others (not including his plea to get the most disliked video ever in 2016). Read More: Was PewDiePie really banned in China? – After explaining his reasoning for not enjoying Marvel, he stated that he has actually changed his mind since he posted the video in May 2018, after a flight from Japan to the UK where all of his in-flight options were from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He goes on to explain that he “loves Thanos”, providing a philosophical explanation as to why Thanos is so great and launching into an in-depth theological discussion supported by the works of Danish philosopher, theologian, poet and religious author Søren Kierkegaard. Towards the end of the video, he says “this connection with Marvel is so cringy, but I tricked you into listening to philosophy epicly,” adding that you “have to practice your ideas. You can’t just buy Ninja’s guide to becoming a pro gamer and then become a pro gamer.” Although many will say that PewDiePie has had more controversial moments than his video about disliking Marvel movies, it’s true that this video caused the most division amongst the likes and dislikes in comparison to his other videos. It seems, at least, that PewDiePie has learned from his mistakes and will henceforth be supporting Marvel in their cinematic ventures.

In 2015, Kjellberg flew to Los Angeles to film his legendary YouTube exclusive show, Scare PewDiePie. The entertaining concept revolved around the Swede having to survive re-enactments of his favorite horror games that he played throughout his career. The 31-year-old revealed to fans in a May video that he actually became terrified while filming the series after a simple mistake led to him taking the wrong medication. The content creator exclaimed that he was legitimately freaked out over it. He was reacting to a meme about someone mistaking laxatives for an Aspirin, when he opened up about his own incident with the medication. “I didn’t know that there was Aspirin that makes you sleepy too. I [took some] while doing a shoot of Scare PewDiePie and it freaked me the f**k out!” Kjellberg then said the mistaken medication made him tired while trying to film as he had taken it before a lengthy shoot. “It’s like ‘oh, I have a headache, got to take something before this long shoot we have. No, you sleep now!’” (Topic starts at 9:22) While Scare PewDiePie was massively popular, season two was ultimately canceled by the Google-owned video platform due to a controversial video Pewds had made in 2017. Surprisingly, the second half of the series is completely finished production-wise. Fans have long held out hope that it would eventually be released one day. Who knows, maybe the second part will see the light of day eventually as in 2020, Kjellberg signed a major deal with YouTube to stream exclusively on their platform. When he hit 100 million subscribers, the company also made him a special video. So anything is possible.

The 31-year-old revealed the reason for his break to viewers, and it’s pretty relatable. After joining YouTube in 2010, PewDiePie uploaded a new video every day to his channel for nearly a decade. After 10 years of never taking time off, the star finally took a much-deserved break in January 2020. During his latest upload, Kjellberg revealed that he is actually taking another hiatus this month. He opened to viewers about the hilarious reason he is taking a break from making content. PewDiePie explains why he is taking a brief vacation While the Swedish YouTuber has hinted at taking a summer vacation this year, Pewds opened up to viewers during his June 7 video and explained why he would be taking a week-long hiatus from making content. “I’m leaving when the new Minecraft update comes out that I’ve been waiting for, for months,” he said, of course referencing the Mojang game’s large expansion “Caves & Cliffs update” which goes live on June 8, 2021. Although Pewds announced that he would be taking some time off to play the anticipated Minecraft release, the Swede didn’t go into detail as to whether he would be streaming his gameplay sessions live for viewers. He did, however, hint at future uploads to his channel with the footage. “Don’t watch anyone else do the Minecraft update, because I have…” he teased. When will PewDiePie be returning from his YouTube break? The Caves & Cliffs Minecraft update officially releases on June 8, 2021. According to the YouTuber’s video on May 28, he will be taking around a week off from making videos so that he can play the expansion. “And then between the 7th and the 13th, I will be away as well just so you know. I get summer holiday this year, so does Sive,” he said. Fans can expect the content creator to make his return on June 13, or slightly later. (Topic starts at 14:49) PewDiePie infamously went viral in 2019 when his Minecraft series exploded in popularity. While his original Bro Land save file came to an end in 2020, Kjellberg launched a hardcore mode series in 2021. While fans will have to go a week without their favorite YouTuber, the update will no doubt make them happy, as a third Minecraft series is incredibly exciting.

  • PewDiePie reveals strategy that could beat T-Series for good – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals strategy that could beat T-Series for good YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is neck-and-neck with Bollywood label T-Series to gain the most subscribers on the platform – but he may have a trick up his sleeve to defeat his opponent once and for all. PewDiePie addressed his ongoing battle with T-Series in an episode of ‘LIWAY’ on November 21, where he admitted that playing Fortnite might give him the edge he needs to overcome his Bollywood nemesis. The episode in question featured a meme that suggested a collaboration with Fortnite streamer ‘Ninja’ as a means for PewDiePie to gain subscribers. He appeared to entertain the idea, despite his mixed feelings about the popular battle royale game. “That is genius,” he said of the concept. “I’ve never played Fortnite. It’s the one thing – the one shred of integrity I have left, that I will not conform to play this overly-popular video game just for the sake of views. But I’m desperate, dammit!” PewDiePie currently sits at just over 71 million subscribers as of November 21, with T-Series weighing in at over 70,900,000 subs and counting. While he saw a massive increase in subscribers following MrBeast’s massive ad campaign in favor of Pewd’s victory, the ‘king’ of YouTube could be defeated by the label earlier than was originally anticipated.

PewDiePie reveals new ‘Pixelings’ mobile RPG game Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has got together with developers Outerminds to release Pixelings, a brand new, free-to-play game on iOS and Android. PewDiePie’s fans refer to him as the ‘King of YouTube’, but he does more besides creating videos for his 102 million subscribers. The Swede created his first mobile game with Outerminds in 2015 – the platformer Legend of the Brofist – and he followed it up with 2016’s Tuber Simulator. Now, three years later, he’s extended the Pixelverse with his latest release. Based in PewDiePie’s 16-bit realm of Pixeland, Pixelings plays out like a more strategic take on the original Pokemon. After a ‘mysterious being’ invaded Pixeland, you are set with the task of gathering your best battle lineup of Pixelings in a bid to restore order. Those familiar with Pewds’ previous games will recognize the hatchable Pixelings from Tuber Simulator. Now those creatures (and more) hold their own set of powers and help build the ultimate battle roster. Playable in single-player or multiplayer, Pixelings is a turn-based RPG strategy game, and Felix showcased the game’s fluid combat system – highlighting the importance of swapping out your Pixelings – in this video. While playing through one of the campaign missions, Kjellberg said that he was particularly pleased with the animation work. “All the animations are hand-drawn which I think is so cool,” he said. “I think that’s a really cool thing that I’m really proud of.” Moreover, he confirmed that the initial release was just the start for the RPG, since “Brotown – which is the first area – is literally just scratching the surface of the game.” He added: “There’s so many more pretty and cool Pixelings and areas and things in general… It took a lot of work to get this.” There are a variety of in-game purchases that can be made to unlock more characters to expand your roster of Pixelings. The game is available for free on the App Store and Play Store now.

PewDiePie reveals how kid tried to ‘steal’ his childhood Pokemon cards YouTube: PewDiePie / PixabayDuring his April 9 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg hilariously recalled an incident from his childhood where a kid tried to take his Pokemon cards after being confused by Yu-Gi-Oh. Ever since its debut on the Game Boy, Pokemon has been a big part of many adults childhoods’ that grew up in the 90s. The RPG franchise even kicked off a pop culture phenomena in the form of the Trading Card Game. During his recent upload, YouTube star PewDiePie opened up to viewers about an incident he faced when he was younger, when a fellow kid tried to battle him for his Vulpix – but mistook the game’s rules for elements from Yu-Gi-Oh. PewDiePie recalls hilarious Yu-Gi-Oh Pokemon memory The YouTuber’s latest video was a love letter to the 2000’s anime Yu-Gi-Oh, where he professed his adoration for the classic. However while reacting to the series’ first episode, he was reminded of a childhood memory involving Pokemon. “When I was a kid… Hey, I don’t remember your name,” he said before pointing towards the camera. “This little f**ker didn’t know how to play Pokemon. You know who you are. I bet you’re watching!” he joked. He then recalled that the kid tried to “duel” him for his cards. “He was like, I know the rules of Pokemon. I’m like alright let’s play it. And he’s like alright, so you just pick the first card of your deck and you place it down and whoever has the strongest card wins the other person’s card.” Only problem is, that is clearly not how the Pokemon Trading Card Game is played. The entertainer continued, “I’m like, that sounds stupid. And he’s like, alright, place your card.” Unfortunately for the YouTuber, he pulled a common Vulpix while the other kid had a holographic Charizard. “And he just pulls out a Charizard right away. And he’s like “Your card is mine now!” and I’m like F**K NO!” he exclaimed. It appeared that the kid was confusing the rules between the two series, although the Swede admitted a lot of kids didn’t understand them. “Because no-one knew how to play the games. Even though they are so simple,” he said. (Timestamp 02:15 for mobile users.) While it seems to be just a case of children not understanding the rules of popular trading card games, the 30-year-old almost had his Vulpix ‘stolen’ as that is not how Pokemon battles actually work. This isn’t the first time PewDiePie has hilariously opened up about his childhood, as he often tells viewers about stories from his youth that are totally relatable.

PewDiePie opened up about the subject in a video on March 29, where he answered some of Google’s top questions about him – including how much money he makes. https://moneyinc.com/pewdiepie-net-worth/One article suggested that the YouTuber earns a total of $3,400 per hour in an estimated 40-hour work week, which he didn’t appear to deny. “I don’t know exactly how much I make per day,” PewDiePie admitted. “That doesn’t seem too far off, which is pretty crazy when you think about it.” If PewDiePie’s statement is true, that would mean the YouTuber rakes in nearly $7 million a year. Despite his apparent financial status, PewDiePie asserted a firm belief that “money isn’t everything,” and even claimed to live a modest life to avoid being changed by his monetary success. “I obviously didn’t start YouTube to make money,” he said of his wealth. “…Considering how much I make, I try to live modestly, because I don’t want to – I want to live a normal life. I don’t want the money to change my life.” The YouTuber went on to outline his future financial goals, claiming that he hopes to save up enough dough to buy a house in Japan for future holiday visits – as well as amass a decent retirement fund. While he didn’t state his exact net worth, PewDiePie did reveal that he was “definitely” worth more than $20 million, as estimated by another site’s analytics. While PewDiePie rose to fame thanks to his horror game playthroughs, the YouTuber has since amassed a massive following on the website due to his battle with T-Series, which went on for nearly half a year. While the label has since surpassed Kjellberg by 80,000 subscribers as of March 29, he managed to reach a record-breaking 91 million sub count in the process, and still reigns as YouTube’s most-subscribed independent creator.

For the last six months, the content creator has given away all of his subscriber money to various charities. In October for instance, he donated $144k to a youth mental health org. Instead of turning off donations, Kjellberg is now combining the money with his subs to help out those in need. The entertainer pointed out that he does not judge other streamers for taking money, rather that this is what makes the most sense for him.

It’s kinda strange to me, it’s entering new territory, but I feel really ready and so does Marzia.” The couple first met after Marzia was introduced to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel by a friend, to which she then emailed him to tell him she found his videos funny. They then began dating in late 2011, and have been one of YouTube’s favorite power couples ever since. It’s fair to say that fans were absolutely thrilled by the announcement. “This genuinely put tears in my eyes. Congratulations been watching you for over a decade now and never thought this day would come!” one fan wrote. “It’s so crazy to witness you getting married and having a child. I’m so happy for you both and your future together,” said another.

YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s latest collaboration with G FUEL has been announced, revealing the Swede finally has his own energy formula flavor. PewDiePie first partnered up with G FUEL at the beginning of 2019 as the Swede got his own shaker cup for the energy formula which proved extremely popular, leaving many to wonder when he would get his own actual drink. But after much anticipation, the YouTube star finally revealed his own flavor, and it’s a clever tribute to his home continent Europe. The collaboration also had some extra goodies such as a collector’s edition, which will no doubt excite fans. The Swede’s brand of humor has been the perfect match for G FUEL.600 PewDiePie’s G FUEL flavor revealed On October 16, it was revealed that the YouTuber’s newest GFUEL flavor is a “wild lingonberry-infused tonic” that originates from Scandinavia. “We present to you, a taste-bud tingling, WILD LINGONBERRY-infused tonic of Scandinavian origin! The shaker and box both sport the Swede’s signature logo and pattern, and the back even has a stylized picture of the YouTube star. The limited edition item is being sold for $39.99. The Swede’s G FUEL flavor launch comes with a collector’s version. An epic collaboration The collaboration between PewDiePie and G FUEL has been a natural one, as the YouTube king has used his edgy comedy and focus on memes to advertise the product and make it a part of his brand. A great of example of this is when Pewds trolled his entire audience on October 9 by announcing that his new G FUEL flavor was “swedish meatballs” on Twitter, including a video of him gagging on it. The energy formula got in on the fun, stating IKEA was going to be angry. With over 101 million subscribers strong, PewDiePie has one of the largest audiences in the world. Despite that, the Swede is pretty selective with advertising – a great match made as the energy formula embraces his comedic style.

  • PewDiePie reveals how he can “fix” Sonic the Hedgehog’s terrifying movie design – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals how he can “fix” Sonic the Hedgehog’s terrifying movie design PewDiePie, YouTube / Paramount, SEGASonic the Hedgehog is racing to the silver screen this November, but fans aren’t in love with the blue blur’s design for the film. Thankfully, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has come to the rescue… sort of. PewDiePie uploaded a video on May 3, in which he drew popular characters from memory as requested by his fanbase – including Sonic the Hedgehog’s Hollywood look. Kjellberg appeared to agree with audiences’ general consensus on the design, warning that he couldn’t “make this look any worse than it was in the trailer.” [Timestamp: 8:50 for mobile viewers] PewDiePie went on to deliver an expectedly horrifying take on Sonic’s new appearance, admitting that he was “scaring himself” while drawing the character. “I think what freaked everyone out was the fact that he had human teeth,” he said of the design. “At least, that’s what I was bothered by. There’s just something uneasy about having human teeth.” Sonic’s new design meets major fan backlash The first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog went live on May 1 and was met with understandably mixed reviews. While many fans of the franchise declared that Jim Carrey, portraying classic villain Dr. Robotnik (or Eggman, depending on your preferred terminology), would be the film’s saving grace (a la Raul Julia’s M. Bison in the 1994 ‘Street Fighter’ film), others worried that a buddy cop premise could ultimately render the upcoming Sonic flick unwatchable. Others argued the differences between Sonic’s movie design and those of Pokémon in the upcoming ‘Detective Pikachu’ film, with some fans claiming that live-action renditions of classic video game characters are bound to fall somewhere within the uncanny valley. Gotta fix fast! However, Sonic’s design has since been scrapped, thanks to widespread fan outrage. Director Jeff Fowler published a Tweet on May 2 assuring fans that Sonic would undergo a serious makeover before the film went live, claiming that “everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be.” Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast :wrench::victory:️ — Jeff Fowler (@fowltown) May 2, 2019 Despite this seemingly welcome turn of events, fans were then concerned about the possibility of “crunch” for the film’s art and animation teams, prompting a swift change to the ‘#gottafixfast’ hashtag to ‘#nottoofast.’ I know there’s more than just “”fixing”” something. There’s thousands of handshakes and contracts that go into a production like this. Nonetheless, I still believe it should be delayed for the health of the team. Six months is not long enough.#gottafixfast #nottoofast #SonicMovie pic.twitter.com/nw18z8zdnr — Travis [ThatGomuGuy] (@TheUpbringer) May 3, 2019 Sonic the Hedgehog releases in theaters on November 8, 2019.

  • PewDiePie reveals “final strength” that will allow him to win YouTube race with T-Series – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals “final strength” that will allow him to win YouTube race with T-Series PewDiePieThe battle for YouTube supremacy against Indian music label PewDiePie’ Kjellberg to reveal his final hand for combating the growing foe. PewDiePie’s fight against T-Series has seen the Swede enlist the help of other YouTubers, pioneering CEO Elon Musk, and crazy stunts. But with the subscriber counts routinely swinging back and forth, it looks like PewDiePie is ready to unleash his ace in the hole. In a March 25 video, PewDiePie reviewed a series of ‘I am very smart’ memes but not before touting his impeccable intellect that makes him confident to overtake T-Series. In the clip, he listed the numerous weapons in his arsenal that were at his disposal to overcome T-Series before a hilarious reveal. “The last thing I have not mentioned in the battle me versus T-Series,” PewDiePie said. “My final move, I have revealed all my strengths so far: Extremely handsome and good looking, very big tongue, I can eat G-Fuel raw, Crab King. But number five, listen to this: I am incredibly smart.” (Timestamp at 0:06 for mobile viewers) PewDiePie showed off his massive IQ while scoffing at anything lower than his genius, saying: “140 IQ? 200 IQ? Don’t make me laugh. 5000 IQ, is that all you have?” The Swedish content creator joked his IQ had been measured to be “100 million 100,” vastly surpassing anything on this plain of existence. Armed with a superior intellect, PewDiePie won’t have a problem overcoming T-Series who is over 1300 subs ahead of him at the time of writing. The battle may be waning, but it certainly isn’t over for PewDiePie who has pulled himself out of similar binds before. Even as the subscriber counts ever fluctuates, it will be easy for someone with that kind of shear genius to think up a way to retake the lead in no time.

  • PewDiePie reveals big YouTube announcement inspired by Dream and Corpse Husband – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals big YouTube announcement inspired by Dream and Corpse Husband PewDiePie/Corpse HusbandYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg announced in a new video that he was doing away with his face cam to try and “stay relevant” with the likes of other creators like Dream and Corpse Husband. Pewds is easily one of the most popular content creators on the internet, but in an effort to maintain his relevance, as he put it, the Swede announced a major change coming to his videos and streams in the future. Fans don’t have to worry too much — as Pewds didn’t announce he was taking any more time off — but he did reveal a major change coming to his channel: getting rid of his face cam. In a new video posted on January 23, Pewds announced he was doing a “reverse face reveal” AKA just getting rid of his self-facing camera and replacing it with an avatar like Dream, Corpse Husband or any of the other YouTubers who have hopped on the trend. “I’ve realized that the only way for me to stay relevant at this point, it’s necessary for me to do this,” Kjellberg joked. “Corpse Husband: no face cam, no face reveal, massively popular. Dream: no face cam, no face reveal, massively popular.” True to his word for the rest of the video Pewds did do away with the camera and just used an icon, but he hasn’t settled on a final avatar yet, and is asking for fans help. “I haven’t picked my avatar yet, so I figured why don’t you guys on the PewDiePie submissions subreddit?” PewDiePie added. “Help me pick my 3D avatar, because they all have one.” Hopefully, fans can come up with something a little better than the image Pewds chose for this video, even though it was hilarious — it’s not what you want people to see every time they tune in. It also remains to be seen how long PewDiePie will keep this gimmick up. Sure, streaming with a 3D avatar or no face cam is all the rage right now, but one could argue Kjellberg could probably survive without one.

  • PewDiePie reveals how it feels to be called a “boomer” by his viewers – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals how it feels to be called a “boomer” by his viewers YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has weighed in on the “Ok Boomer” debate, revealing how it feels to be called a boomer by his viewers, and how much he loves the meme trend. Being called a boomer on the internet in 2019 is not a particularly flavorful title. It’s used for the most part as an insult of someone being out of touch with something, or even just a cheeky punch at someone’s terrible opinion. However, after being hounded by his viewers for quite some time, PewDiePie has embraced the title his viewers have bestowed on him, and the meme itself. During his latest episode of “Last Week I Asked You,” PewDiePie was going through some of the best memes on his subreddit /r/pewdiepieSubmissions when he came across a Narnia “Ok Zoomer” meme. He appreciated the submission, and went on to talk about how his viewers call him a boomer from time to time, and how he loves how the meme is now just blowing up. “I love how ‘Ok Boomer’ is blowing up, it’s such a big meme,” he said. “It’s so dumb. It’s been an underlying meme for a long time, but it’s just blown up now.” Ironically, the video is titled “Stop calling me a Boomer,” although it’s doubtful that will be happening any time soon, with the comment section of the video full of references to the meme. Ok Boomer has taken the internet by storm at the tail end of 2019. It was designed to dismiss attitudes stereotypically assigned to the baby boomer generation born in the 50s and 60s. It’s hit the mainstream in a way not seen in other memes, with celebrities from all parts of the globe taking part. The term has been thrown around in the New Zealand parliament, and even coined as being possibly “ageist.” Read more: Judge Judy roasts Twitch streamer – It’s evolved into its many forms, including its cousin “Ok Zoomer,” taking aim at the kids who talk way above the heads of anyone else. Whether zoomers down the line will be calling the King of YouTube a boomer, or whether the meme will fizzle out and die like most catchphrases remains to be seen. However, for the time being, PewDiePie can hoist the title of the “Boomer of YouTube” right next to his 100 million subscriber award, and wear it however he likes.

PewDiePie reveals 100 million subscriber Play Button in emotional video PewDiePie, YouTubeIt’s no secret that Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is YouTube’ most subscribed independent creator, having reached his coveted 100 million subscriber milestone on August 25 – and now, he’s finally received the platform’s greatest award yet. YouTube unveiled their latest Creator Award on September 6, meant to congratulate both PewDiePie and his former nemesis, T-Series, on surpassing 100 million subscribers. While YouTube’s usual slew of Play Buttons are gold, silver, or diamond, PewDiePie and T-Series received an extra-special “Red Diamond” Play Button for their efforts – a trophy that the Swede unboxed in an emotional video four days later. The 100M subscriber record has been surpassed, and that means we have the new creator award! And, of course, thank you, YouTube. Where would I be without you?” That’s not all: PewDiePie also received a letter from YouTube’s CEO, Susan Wojcicki, who congratulated him on his recent marriage to fiance Marzia Bisognin after eight years of dating. The YouTuber likewise announced that he would be celebrating the massive milestone by donating a whopping $50,000 to the Anti-Defamation League, an organization dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism and protecting communities from “extremist threats of every kind.” https://www.adl.org/PewDiePie’s journey to 100 million subscribers has been a long one, from his origins in horror games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent to his viral battle against T-Series earlier this year – and he’s already beaten his “Red Diamond” milestone, reaching 101 million subscribers just two weeks later. Thanks to his dedicated audience, it looks like PewDiePie will reign as YouTube’s king for quite a bit longer – and he’s got a hefty trophy to prove it!

  • PewDiePie reveals why he won’t be doing any more Dr. Phil YouTube videos – Dexerto

PewDiePie reveals why he won’t be doing any more Dr. Phil YouTube videos It appears that Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg‘s YouTube channel will see an end of an era as the YouTuber will no longer be doing his popular Dr. Phil reaction videos. Over the past year or so, PewDiePie has been regularly uploading reaction videos to Dr. Phillip McGraw’s popular television show, in which the famed psychologist applies his expertise to help his guests with their issues. Many of those who go on Dr. Phil are interesting people, to say the least, and Pewds has taken full advantage of the show’s more ridiculous episodes to make hilarious content for his channel. Unfortunately, on March 11, the Swede announced via a new video that he will no longer be doing reaction videos of the show because all of the previous videos featuring Dr. Phil have been copyright struck. “All my copyright videos got claimed by SonyTV,” he said. “All of them. They struck out of nowhere. I wasn’t even prepared.” In classic PewDiePie style, the King of YouTube’s newest video is as melodramatic and exaggerated as it gets, featuring pained facial expressions, black-and-white visual effects, and dramatic music. He even included a hilarious photoshopped image of Dr. Phil wearing a “Subscribe to PewDiePie” t-shirt, while jokingly commenting that his videos were helping give “traction” to the psychologist’s show. “You know, Dr. Phil wore my t-shirt, so I thought he was a pro.” he said. “I thought he would appreciate my videos and understand that it gave traction to his show. This of course means no more Dr. Phil videos! I know I’m crying too, and I have been crying.” While Pewds is probably not going to worry too much about the financial loss he took from having all of his Dr. Phil videos copyright struck, he does now has one less option in his toolbox of content for future videos. This all took place, of course, during his heated YouTube race against Bollywood label T-Series, who are getting closer and closer to overtaking him as the most subscribed-to channel. As things stand, the Swede’s lead over T-Series is at just around 21,400, and he looks set to become the first YouTuber ever to reach the 89 million subscriber mark.

  • PewDiePie responds to Joe Rogan’s “boomer” video game comments – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to Joe Rogan’s “boomer” video game comments YouTube: PewDiePie, Joe Rogan[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]YouTube star Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has shared his response to podcast host Joe Rogan’s divisive comments on video games, surprisingly advocating for both sides of the ongoing debate around a subject that has steeped the gaming community in chaos. Joe Rogan incited the ire of many a gamer on July 26, after claiming in an episode of his podcast that video games were a “problem” and a “waste of time,” contrasting them with the profitability of other pastimes like martial arts. Needless to say, many top personalities and casual gamers alike had something to say about Rogan’s statement, including streaming star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins — but now, YouTube’s most subscribed creator has weighed in on the topic. PewDiePie uploaded a video responding to Rogan’s video game spiel on July 30, where he initially clowned on the host and found his jujitsu comparison to be a bad example (although he made sure to point out that he understood his general idea). “Video games a real problem. You know why? Because they’re f**king fun. You do them, and they’re real exciting, but you don’t get anywhere.” Joe Rogan has described video games as a “waste of time” for ‘most people’: https://t.co/8phVgmGYP9 pic.twitter.com/HGVgCfr7mh — Dexerto (@Dexerto) July 26, 2020 “I get it,” he mused. “I get his point. But it’s like the worst example ever with jujitsu. That’s another thing — you wouldn’t even have to be good at gaming to make a living. Obviously!” he laughed, pointing to himself. “Even though I kind of memed it already, I feel like it would be so easy for me to come at Joe Rogan’s statement and be like, ‘Yeah Joe, f***king idiot. I make money playing video games, what the f**k you talking about?’” he continued. “He really just sounds like a boomer. …it’s just such a generational gap that’s always existed.” However, the YouTuber was also understanding of the addictive nature that games — or any hobby — can have on people, and claimed that while he enjoyed inspiring his viewers to follow their dreams, doesn’t want to sell them on unrealistic expectations. “I love the idea that I can inspire my audience or, I don’t know, people in general, if they want to pursue YouTube and other gaming-related things,” he clarified. “Like, f**k yeah, go for it. But I don’t wanna sell people on the pipe dream that it’s possible for everyone, because it isn’t.” “I guess what I’m saying is, find a balance,” he added. “By all means enjoy video games, it’s a great hobby, it’s super fun. …But also find a balance. I think that’s what makes life fun, doing different things.” What do you think of PewDiePie’s take on Joe Rogan’s viral video game conversation? • PewDiePie responds to more accusations linking him to a white supremacist channel – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to more accusations linking him to a white supremacist channel Popular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has once again been forced to defend himself in the face of more backlash for being linked to controversial YouTube channels. PewDiePie first came under fire on December 11, when he promoted a YouTube channel called E;R that was found to have anti-Semitic content in one of their videos. After having already made a video responding to the incident, PewDiePie has once again posted a response video after another article was written about him. He starts out his latest video by saying that his goal of shouting out channels was to give back to smaller channels given his massive growth but also admitted to having made the mistake of shouting out too many. “I shouted out 28 channels. This was clearly my mistake because I should not have picked that many god damn channels,” said PewDiePie. “Because obviously, I’m not going to go through every single video in their two-year history.” While PewDiePie admits that it was irresponsible to shout out the video without knowing the full extent of the video’s references and jokes, he nonetheless disagrees with the picture painted by a Vox article that he is radicalizing hateful content. In fact, he comes to the conclusion that Vox is actually doing the opposite of what they intend since E;R gained more subscribers after their series of articles than when he shouted them out. “E;R should really thank the media more than me,” concludes PewDiePie. “[Vox] are aware of the damages that [they] say it’s causing but [Vox is] causing more damage?” PewDiePie then ends his video with a theory on why Vox has been “targeting him” with their series of articles while admitting that it’s only a hunch and not a theory with concrete evidence. “I have more influence than a lot of media outlets, and they hate that,” PewDiePie concludes before referencing an article that details Vox Media’s decline in revenue in 2018. Even though it seems as though this issue has been talked about at length already, it’s likely that this won’t be the last we hear of it anytime soon.

  • PewDiePie responds to fans memeing Marzia’s departure from YouTube – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to fans memeing Marzia’s departure from YouTube PewDiePie, Marzia – YouTubeMarzia Bisognin, wife of YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie Kjellberg,’ notably left the platform after seven years in October 2018 — and while it’s been some time since she stopped creating content, jokes about her departure may not be entirely welcome. After seven years of making videos and vlogging her exotic trips with husband PewDiePie, Marzia announced she was halting her content creating endeavors, claiming that she felt like a “fraud” and wanted to pursue her own career path, rather than following in her hubby’s footsteps on YouTube. “It’s about needing to find my path, because for a long time I felt like I was following someone else’s,” she said, referencing her relationship with Kjellberg. “I think it’s about time that I give myself a chance with something else.” Over a year later, fans are comfortable enough to poke fun at her departure from the website — a few memes of which popped up in an April 13 episode of PewDiePie’s LWIAY series. While he was also apparently fine with joking about the matter, he asked fans to stop memeing Marzia’s emotional and soul-baring video describing why she’d chosen to step back from making videos. “Don’t meme my wife leaving YouTube, guys, come on,” he warned lightheartedly, going on to react to the meme in question, which joked that his loud recording sessions were the “real” reason she’d decided to leave YouTube. “Sometimes I record when we travel,” he explained. “I’m always so self-conscious about neighbors, and I always ask Marzia, ‘Was I extremely loud?’ And she’s like, ‘No.’ I guess she’s so conditioned to it. That’s what it is!” (Topic begins at 5:22 for mobile readers) Although it’s obvious that PewDiePie isn’t offended by fans taking the opportunity to make memes of Marzia’s October 2018 video, it makes sense that he’d ask them to pump the brakes a bit, as it was obviously a difficult decision for Marzia to make. In fact, news of her exodus from the platform went viral online, with fans reaching out across social media in support of a content creator who’d always appeared alongside one of YouTube’s biggest stars with a peek behind the curtain into their private lives.

PewDiePie responds to fans roasting him over Nintendo Switch mistake YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]During his August 30 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg responded to fans roasting him over his Nintendo Switch. The Swedish star hilariously responded to fans worried about how he docks his portable console. For over the last decade, PewDiePie has been the face of online gaming for many viewers. The personality went from his humble roots playing horror games on YouTube in 2011, to amassing over 106 million subscribers to his channel in 2020. During his latest video, the star reacted to a meme about his Nintendo Switch. The 30-year-old jokingly responded to fans worrying about how he docks the electronic device. PewDiePie roasted over his Nintendo Switch The YouTuber reacted to fan submissions during his latest episode of Last Week I Asked You. However, the star became floored when over 51k accounts upvoted a post on Reddit about the way he docks his Nintendo Switch. “Came here to let Felix know that his switch isn’t docked properly and having it sit like this can cause damage!” he read aloud. He then said “How? How would it cause damage?! 51,000 upvotes, are you kidding me?!” Kjellberg then exclaimed, “I spent $2,000 on tambourines and you are only talking about the Switch!” referencing his August 23 upload where the Switch could be seen behind the ceiling-high tower he built out of 69 tambourines. The Swede admitted that the console was too high on the dock, but then proceeded to joke about people being bothered by such a trivial thing by tilting his camera slightly off, and showing his phone not being connected properly. (Topic starts at 2:32) Fans of PewDiePie really seemed bothered by his Switch docking habits. In the original post on the r/pewdiepiesubmissions subreddit, users explained how much the sight of his console was a distraction. Redditor ‘mimmiiiiii‘ exclaimed, “I physically cringed when I saw [the Nintendo Switch]. It wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I left my switch like that tbh. Maybe I’m just poor.” Nintendo Switch docking aside, the creator continues to crush it in 2020. The 30-year-old announced in May that he had signed a major deal with YouTube to stream exclusively on their platform. The popular entertainer consistently pulls in 70k viewers per live stream, and has had as many as 180k watch him play hit titles like The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

  • PewDiePie responds to critics who judge him for being rich – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to critics who judge him for being rich PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is one of the site’s most successful entertainers, becoming its most-subscribed independent creator with a projected net worth in the millions — a fact he claims he’s widely judged for. Kjellberg opened up on the topic during a video on April 21, where he reacted to Jubilee’s “Do All Millionaires Think the Same?” social experiment, which presented a small group of millionaires with a series of hard-hitting questions about their wealth. One of the questions given to the millionaires asked them if they’d ever been judged for their money — something PewDiePie could sympathize with. According to the YouTube star, he feels “sad” for people who judge others for their wealth, and believes that cash isn’t the key to true happiness, in the slightest. “It just makes me sad for other people… people look at me and they’re like, ‘Oh, he doesn’t have any problems because he has money,’” he began. “So many people share the idea that money solves all your problems. …I just feel bad for people who have that mindset, because I know for a fact it isn’t true.” Kjellberg went on to explain that, while money has significantly improved his life, he was just as happy before his rise to YouTube fame, citing his struggle starting out with now-wife Marzia. “Sometimes, I look back on the times when I was just starting out with YouTube, and I was just making enough to pay my rent each month,” he continued. “That’s the kind of time I look back as the most happiest, when me and Marzia were in Sweden. We didn’t have a lot of money. It wasn’t easy, but we were equally happy then.” (Topic begins at 13:33 for mobile readers) While PewDiePie has addressed confusing reports regarding his supposed net worth in the past, the Swede has gone on record stating that it “doesn’t matter” to him in spite of rampant speculation. Even after being robbed late last year, to PewDiePie, material wealth isn’t all that important — claiming that it’s real happiness that counts.

  • PewDiePie responds to fans brutally roasting his new “baby” haircut – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to fans brutally roasting his new “baby” haircut YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg responded to fans making fun of his latest haircut, with one even going so far as to compare his new ‘do to that of a baby’s. PewDiePie is the top content creator on YouTube with millions of viewers around the world. The Swede’s meme-influenced humor has become a staple of his channel. However during his March 7 episode of Last Week I Asked You, he reacted to fans jokes about him shaving his head. The entertainer’s community had some perfect roasts. PewDiePie reacts to fans roasting his new haircut The YouTuber opened up his latest episode of LWIAY by preparing for the onslaught of submissions being focused on his haircut. “Hair short! Ah, let’s hear it. Can’t wait to read all the comments. ‘He looks like the same haircut I had when I was a baby.’ That’s so funny. You guys are clever!” he began. He then read a post on the r/PewdiepieSubmissions forum that showed a photo of his buzzcut hair with the caption “When your mom chooses your haircut.” Pewds then explained “The irony here is that my mom NEVER let me cut my hair short.” Admitting that he looks much better with longer locks, he continued “She wanted me to have it long. Which is good on my mom, because I look way better with long hair. I just never had it short, so I just wanted to see how it looks like.” Seeing a silver lining to the hair experiment, the Swedish star pointed out that he had a very strong hairline. “Surprisingly, hairline is fine. I didn’t know this! Even better, my forehead is huge. Which basically means my brain is large!” he said. The YouTuber broke down laughing when one of his fans compared him to Eleven from the Netflix hit series Stranger Things. “Remember that kid from Stranger Things. This is him now, do you feel old yet?” he read aloud. Another submission hilariously put a picture of him next to Sid from Pixar’s Toy Story, which caused the Swede to defend his decision. “That’s the thing, everyone had this haircut when they were a kid already. If I had it as a kid I wouldn’t have to do it now!” (Timestamp 04:43 for mobile users.) The YouTuber joked that his hair will grow faster for each like on his video, showing his sense of humor about the whole thing. If nothing else, his new look inspired some glorious memes – how could that not be seen as a win? Regardless of the length of his locks, PewDiePie continues to crush it. Ever since returning from his month-long break in January, his uploads have been amassing millions of views.

PewDiePie responds to criticism following coronavirus controversy YouTube: PewDiePieAfter making his triumphant return from his month-long break, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg faced backlash for a joke he made about coronavirus. Now the Swede has responded by doubling down on the memes. The popular entertainer made his return to YouTube on February 21, however his first video back faced criticism from the media over jokes he made about the coronavirus. The Swedish star doesn’t seem too bothered by it though, as he responded to the backlash during his February 22 Meme Review by reacting to more jokes about the real-world topic. PewDiePie responds to criticism The YouTuber started out by saying “Now I understand this is a bit controversial, you can’t really joke about stuff…” before flashing a disclaimer that read: “THE COMMENTS IN THIS VIDEO ARE PURELY SARCASM OR HYPERBOLE. DO NOT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY.” He continued by saying, “just because I laugh at something, doesn’t mean I think it’s funny. If anything it’s the opposite. I’m only reviewing this for the sake of historical context.” He then put on a breathing mask. The Swede then doubled down with a joke comparing the virus to an anime girl. “It would be dishonest and disingenuous to not review the coronavirus. Or as I like to call it caronawaifus. Because she’s hot. I would f**k her. I’m not gonna lie.” Pewds reacted to an image that showed a pharmacy in Japan completely out of stock of medical supplies. “This is every single pharmacy in Tokyo right now. It’s wiped out. And you know why? Because I bought the whole goddamn Japan. I’m sorry!” he said, holding up his box of face masks. He then addressed criticism that jokes about the virus could be considered racist by linking to an article by Business Insider, which was about Chinese citizens using memes to cope. “Listen, if you think these are racist jokes, even Chinese people in Japan made these jokes.” The YouTube star reiterated that it was a coping mechanism. “If Chinese people are joking about it, I can as well. It’s a coping mechanism!” he exclaimed. (Timestamp 09:59 for mobile users.) Despite the jokes, PewDiePie told his viewers to stay safe and shared some tips on how to avoid getting sick. “All memes aside, stay safe. Wash your hands. Dispose of items that you cough in.” Regardless of whether you agree with his stance or not, comedy has often been used culturally as a mechanism to deal with tough subjects. If nothing else, the Swede is staying true to the style of humor that many have come to love.

  • PewDiePie responds to critics calling him a “hypocrite” for 7 year old Reddit post – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to critics calling him a “hypocrite” for 7 year old Reddit post YouTube: PewDiePieDuring his May 18 upload, YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg responded to claims he was a “hypocrite” after viewers uncovered a seven year old Reddit post of his. The Swedish star explained to fans why his views have changed on making content. With over 110 million subscribers in 2021, it’s hard to imagine a time when PewDiePie wasn’t the king of YouTube. A decade later, the content creator has changed dramatically from his humble origins in Sweden. Pewds had to face an old message he had written from the past when viewers dug up an old forum post. The 31-year-old hit back at those calling him hypocritical and explained why his feelings have changed over time. PewDiePie responds to being called a hypocrite PewDiePie fans stumbled across a Reddit post the YouTuber had written years ago about why he wouldn’t hire an editor for his videos. In the old post, he wrote “I feel like I’d be cheating my fans. My videos would lose a huge part of ‘me’. I want to prove that even with the biggest channel on YouTube, you don’t have to have a lot of money. As long as you have a camera and a passion, you can go as far as you want.” During his May 18 video Kjellberg responded to the resurfaced post and said, “I think I stayed true to that. Especially considering how most YouTubers run their channel. Yes, I don’t edit my videos anymore, obviously. But I also wouldn’t be able to upload nearly enough for this amount of time. So it’s a trade. I don’t know if this was meant to put me on the spot, but I think I stayed true to myself and this idea.” However, after reading some of the comments, Pewds saw that one viewer had called him a hypocrite. “I don’t think I [look like a hypocrite]. I’ve talked about it and I’ve talked about how my view on it has changed. There’s no way I would be able to upload as many videos for this long of a time if I had edited myself. It just isn’t feasible,” he exclaimed in response to the critical fan. (Topic starts at 5:35) Pewds went on to reveal that he actually misses editing his own content. “But in a lot of ways too, I miss editing. I think I added a lot to my edits in the past. Not to say Sive didn’t add a lot either. He’s added a sh*t ton. But it comes from two different people, and that will always be different. It’s just how it is.” He again defended his channel as mostly being run by himself compared to other creators. “Look where most YouTubers how they run their stuff. Now they have producers, writers, editors. This WHOLE team. It’s almost getting more and more like actual big productions.” PewDiPie went on to clarify that he has nothing against channels that are more produced. “There is nothing wrong with that either. There is room for both,” the YouTube star argued. Editing aside, Kjellberg is the most followed individual content creator on the platform – so he must be doing something right.

  • PewDiePie responds to artists criticizing him over his Spotify playlist – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to artists criticizing him over his Spotify playlist YouTube: PewDiePie / Spotify[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg responded to musical artists that “disavowed” him after his Spotify Playlist leaked online. The Swedish star explained how the controversy surrounding the situation was “confusing.” On August 5, PewDiePie was trending on Twitter after users discovered his Spotify playlist and leaked it on social media. While many praised him for having good taste, some of the artists were upset that he was a fan of their work. Addressing the backlash, the 30-year-old responded to the the musicians that disavowed him during his latest upload. The content creator explained why he doesn’t think the creators should be upset, while calling the whole backlash baffling. PewDiePie responds to artists upset over Spotify playlist The YouTuber opened up his latest upload by joking that he had been “cancelled” again, before explaining to viewers that his leaked Spotify playlist had trended on social media. He told viewers that a few artists he was listening to were upset that he was fan. “Some of the artists in my history, they took it upon themselves to disavow PewDiePie for listening to your music,” he said, before issuing a joke apology. “I am so sorry. I didn’t know. Jeez. Boy, do I feel stupid for listening to music online!” Breaking into laughter, he yelled “I feel like such an idiot!” The entertainer told viewers that he found the situation confusing, because he was not promoting them publicly. “I can understand maybe if I publicly announced like “Yeah! Y’all should check out this artist!” and maybe they don’t like it. MAYBE.” He then jokingly addressed the musicians, and exclaimed, “But you literally went through what I listen to and then went “I don’t want you to listen to me!” Jeez, you sound like a baby a*s b**ch!” before confessing that he only listened to the artists a few times in the past on a mix playlist, and didn’t even know who they were. (Topic starts at 04:44) PewDiePie was referring to musical artists such as Gupi who tweeted “Just woke up, found out pewdiepie listens to me and others, pewdiepie please don’t listen to my music. Ok back to bed.” Despite some of the artists being upset, the YouTuber explained that he would still listen to a musician that doesn’t like him. The star gave the example that if Radiohead came out and stated that they hated him, it would not effect the way he feels about their music which he stated was “meaningful” to him. The online entertainer also revealed that he understands if some people on social media dislike him if all they ever hear about are negative things, and stated that sometimes he feels people hate the “idea of PewDiePie.” With over 106 million subscribers, the Swede continues to be one of the biggest personalities in the world.

  • PewDiePie responds to “confusing” reports about his net worth – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to “confusing” reports about his net worth YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg responded to media reports this week about his insane net worth, disputing them as “confusing” and “overvaluing” him. PewDiePie is having one hell of a year, reaching 102 million subscribers on his YouTube account, and launching his wildly successful Minecraft series in June which propelled him to the most watched channel on the platform. During a Q&A on December 29, the Swede was asked about his net worth, which he said was bigger then Forbes’ $13 million valuation. However, the popular entertainer was left “confused” by financial reports this week by media outlets like The Sun, and is disputing them. PewDiePie disputes “confusing” reports In his August 28 update vlog, Pewds admitted that his Minecraft series had given him “epic” ad revenue this year, and said, “I feel like I’m finally earning what people think I’m making out of YouTube videos.” However, a recent a report by British news outlet The Sun that cited a study from OnBuy claimed the YouTuber made an astonishing £54 million in 2019 – something which the Swede disputed in his January 5th upload of PewNews. “But then The Sun was like, “Okay, alright then, we overvalue you £54 million!”,” he said. “In 2019 apparently I made £54 million, guys. It’s just so crazy. I get that people want to know the exact number, so they are just going to make up a bunch of stuff.” The YouTube star then criticized the British outlet’s graph on his wealth. “This makes no sense. It says January I made £5.8 million, but it says in December I made £2.9. It should be the opposite because December is at least three or four times January!” he explained. “I’m so confused!” Pewds exclaimed. He then hit out at the report since it cited a study by OnBuy that links to nothing. “This is based on a study. This research was carried out by online marketplace OnBuy. What is that?! They just link to the website. I try to find the study, I can not find it!” Felix then ended the segment thanking The Sun for at least not “undervaluing” him, although he clearly disputes the reports, saying they make no sense. (Timestamp 03:47 for mobile users.) PewDiePie has argued in the past that the media started to undervalue him on financial lists after several of his controversies. But now it seems they are now over-reporting what he made in 2019, according to the Swede. • PewDiePie responds to accusations of faking YouTube horror Lets Plays – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to accusations of faking YouTube horror Lets Plays YouTube: PewDiePie / Frictional GamesDuring his April 30 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg explained why those believing his old horror Let’s Plays were “faked” are wrong. PewDiePie may be known today as the largest individual YouTuber in the world in with over 104 million subscribers, but in 2010 it was his Let’s Plays of the horror title Amnesia: The Dark Descent that first began his journey to the top. During his latest upload, the Swedish entertainer responded to those accusing him of faking his jumpscare reactions in the classic videos by hilariously demonstrating why he’s easily startled. Related – How The Mob Went From Trolls to Thieves PewDiePie responds to accusations In his latest video, the YouTuber watched content on the Twitter account ‘The strangest videos online’ where he reacted to a host of bizarre clips. After being startled by one of the posts, the Swede was reminded of his horror Lets Plays. “I’m so easily startled!” he laughed, before explaining “It’s so funny, because when I used to do horror games, everyone would accuse me “he’s faking it! he’s faking it!” … I get scared easily!” The popular entertainer then joked, “It’s a natural reaction because I’ve so much testosterone that anything that comes at me, I meet with an “Ahh!” It’s a tactic. A defense tactic!” (Timestamp 03:43 for mobile users.) After watching another scary clip later in the video, he exclaimed, “Look, I get goosebumps!” as he raised his arm up to the camera. “I don’t know what it is. My imagination is scarier then the video!” The Swedish star’s response to year-old accusations was hilarious, as he genuinely became startled while watching the bizarre clips online. Despite his years of experience, the jump scare still got the best of him. While the YouTuber has largely focused on reaction style content in recent years, he made his glorious return to gaming in 2019 with his epic Minecraft series which exploded on the platform. In 2018, PewDiePie actually re-visited Amnesia, making it almost eight years since he first played the career-defining title for his audience. With how popular they are, who knows – maybe fans will get some more horror videos in the future. The Swede continues to crush it on the Google-owned platform, pulling in millions of views an upload. It seems his much-deserved break at the beginning of 2020 has not slowed him down.

  • PewDiePie responds to allegations of being transphobic – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to allegations of being transphobic YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has responded to accusations of transphobia after critics took issue with comments he made in a Dr. Phil reaction video. Although Kjellberg stands as YouTube’s most subscribed content creator, the massive spotlight shining on his channel doesn’t always bode well for potential scandals, as the Swede has discovered yet again. On November 15, PewDiePie uploaded one of his regular Dr. Phil reaction videos, in whichhe commentates on the proceedings of past episodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnPs3rsOnNc&t=116s During this episode, PewDiePie used male pronouns when referring to a young person who filmed themselves gargling mouthwash in a Wal-Mart and dubbed them “Jeffree Star’s rejected son,” referring to the iconic makeup mogul of YouTube fame. However, critics were quick to note that the shopper in question is a transgender woman by the name of Bameron Nicole Smith, and took to Twitter to accuse the YouTuber of blatant transphobia. https://twitter.com/ShaneelLal7/status/1195812654842966016?s=20 https://twitter.com/loveIyongs/status/1196374834424401921?s=20 https://twitter.com/CornyOnTheTele/status/1196142323299737601?s=20 PewDiePie has since responded to the accusations in a video uploaded on November 20, claiming that he didn’t hear anyone address Smith by male pronouns and had even researched the gender of her first name, Bameron. “Honestly, I didn’t even think about it, because she had a masculine name,” PewDiePie argued. “I looked it up. Bameron is a boy’s name. …she wasn’t mentioned as a ‘she’ anywhere by anyone in the video, so it’s not that weird.” The YouTuber went on to deny that he was transphobic and even denounced such behavior, encouraging his viewers to refrain from misgendering others. “I actually support LGBT,” he continued. “I could have been more careful, but I would never purposefully misgender someone as a way to antagonize or troll. I wouldn’t do that. Same with sexuality. That’s not okay, you shouldn’t do it either. I wouldn’t do it.” (Timestamp: 11:50 for mobile viewers) While Smith has yet to respond to PewDiePie’s latest video, she uploaded a video reacting to his initial comments on November 19, calling out his use of male pronouns in reference to her during his commentary. “I know you’re not out here with 100 million, however many plus subscribers you have, with your eight thousand scandals, misgendering trans people,” Smith said of the issue. “How are you out here doing that? You obviously saw that I present feminine. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz4wTlyLE_s&feature=youtu.be This debacle marks the latest of PewDiePie’s scandals, leaving the YouTuber to address online outrage once again.

  • PewDiePie responds to accusations of “cashing in” on VTuber trend – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds to accusations of “cashing in” on VTuber trend YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has finally responded to the outrage sparked by his recent VTuber switch, with many in the community accusing him of “profiting” from a trend that dedicated indie creators have built up over the years. PewDiePie returned from his extended break with a surprising change: He’s no longer showing his face, instead opting to become a ‘VTuber’ by using a stylized avatar in his place. VTubers (short for “virtual YouTubers”) have been around for quite some time. Generally, these content creators use custom, anime-style avatars instead of showing their face online. A good number of VTubers have become wildly popular as a result, including the likes of Japan’s Kizuna Ai and American VTuber Projekt Melody. It seems that PewDiePie’s addition to the mix has not been well-received, though, with many in the VTuber fandom and even fellow VTubers themselves hitting out at the platform’s most-subscribed independent creator for “hopping on a bandwagon.” While this isn’t the first time popular creators have been blasted for joining the hype (see the outrage against Pokimane’s decision to do the same), PewDiePie instantly became the brunt of incredible ire from the community — and he’s finally reacted to the hate. In a February 4 YouTube video, Kjellberg admitted that he is actually losing money over his decision to withhold his face from videos, rather than “cashing in” on the trend as some believe. “Where’s the money?” he laughed. “Where’s the VTuber money I was promised? This is bullshit! If anything, I just pissed off brands, because I was supposed to do brand deals, and they were like, ‘Well, you need to show your face.’ If anything, I lose money for this.” “No matter what, you’re always going to have dumb people online,” he continued. “This is the problem with the internet, in general — people throwing their opinions out there. Your opinion don’t matter!” Read More: Is TikTok’s silhouette challenge dangerous? – That’s not all; he even admitted that he didn’t intend to become a VTuber full-time as many fans and critics believed, and had actually begun the whole charade as a joke (which explains why he hasn’t gone all-out on an extremely detailed avatar). There’s no telling how long PewDiePie will keep up his faceless videos, but it doesn’t look like he’s bothered by all the backlash coming his way, regardless.

PewDiePie responds to fans flying banner over NYC after he ended ‘Sub to PewDiePie’ movement PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s battle with T-Series introduced a meme that took the world by storm – but Kjellberg himself called for an end to the movement nearly six months after its inception. PewDiePie ended the widely popular ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ meme on April 28, claiming that the slogan had evolved into a phrase used for hateful acts – which happened to coincide with a major fan-made tribute that was already in motion. The meme is over. Don’t take it the wrong way. PewDiePie responds to outrage over “iron cross” in ADL donation video PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg announced that he would be making a $50,000 donation to the Anti-Defamation League as part of his 100 million subscriber celebration – but he later rescinded his contribution, and the net was outraged. However, the outrage wasn’t collectively directed at his stance on the ADL, itself: rather, many users were critical of Kjellberg’s apparel he wore during his video explaining his decision to rescind his donation. In the video, PewDiePie wore a black turtleneck sweater with a cross on the neck – a symbol that some claimed was an “iron cross,” sparking debate across the social media sphere. PewDiePie addressed the outrage during an episode of “Pew News” on September 19, where he clarified that the symbol was a Georgian Bolnisi Cross, pointing out the Georgian script next to the controversial image. “That cross – people were very sure that was a Nazi cross,” he began. “People started attacking me because of it. Nevermind the fact that it’s Georgian characters literally right next to it. Nevermind the fact that I’ve worn it many times before on my channel. The only time I see people comment about it have been Georgian people, with excitement.” (Timestamp: 2:40 for mobile viewers) The YouTuber went on to claim that he wasn’t even aware of the possible Nazi imagery surrounding the iron cross, explaining that he didn’t put much thought into what he wears regarding such messages. “I don’t think about what I wear that much,” he continued. “I didn’t even know about the iron cross – I think I heard something about it, but I don’t think about these things. I don’t care about these tiny Nazi references.” PewDiePie addressed concerns of wearing a possible “iron cross” in a “Pew News” video on September 19.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHB9yzsQGnY Although Kjellberg rescinded his donation to the ADL, the YouTube king stated that he is still planning to donate the $50k amount to another charity, and is open to further suggestions from his fanbase. • PewDiePie responds as MrBeast is set to overtake his YouTube subscriber record – Dexerto

PewDiePie responds as MrBeast is set to overtake his YouTube subscriber record Instagram: MrBeast / YouTube: PewDiePie, MrBeastPewDiePie might be the single most-subscribed content creator on YouTube, but MrBeast isn’t far behind — and the gap is closing day by day. In 2019, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg broke YouTube records by reaching 100 million subscribers — the most that any independent creator on the platform had ever achieved. This event came about due to his famed subscriber war with Indian entertainment label T-Series, who eventually passed him in numbers to garner a current amount of 206 million subs. Since then, Kjellberg has amassed an additional 11 million subscribers, and continues to hold the throne for most-subscribed creator on the platform… but will he maintain the title forever? It’s not looking likely. Another major name in the space is slowly but surely creeping up behind PewDiePie — and he goes by the name ‘MrBeast.’ Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is arguably one of YouTube’s biggest influencers right now. Best known for orchestrating elaborate challenges and creating ambitious (and hugely expensive) videos, MrBeast has expanded his empire to include a fast food restaurant, created his very own philanthropy, and recently launched a line of chocolate bars in true Willy Wonka fashion. At the time of writing, MrBeast’s main YouTube channel has 89 million subscribers. A quick look at channel statistics on SocialBlade shows that he’s gaining an average of 536,000 subscribers per week, earning an estimated total of 2.3 subs per month. Additionally, MrBeast had the fastest growing YouTube channel of 2021, beating out T-Series by a whopping 1.1 million subscribers to earn over 37 million new followers throughout the year. PewDiePie reacts to MrBeast subscriber count PewDiePie reacted to this news upon returning to YouTube, having taken a month-long break in January. While he didn’t seem too bothered by it, he did joke that MrBeast would, of course, be his next opponent in YouTube’s great “subscriber war.” “I guess I’m gonna have to start my next drama with MrBeast,” he joked. “Diss track coming — nah, I’m just joking. I’m not gonna do that.” (Topic begins at 3:43) There’s certainly no bad blood between these two internet giants, especially considering that MrBeast is a self-proclaimed fan of PewDiePie (remember that time he advertised Pewds’ channel during the Superbowl?) Although MrBeast continues to gain subscribers at a rapid rate, there’s no denying that PewDiePie’s war with T-Series paved the way for independent creators to challenge major companies when it comes to fan support. Besides, a beef between these two isn’t looking likely, as PewDiePie notably claimed he “can’t be bothered” with the YouTube hustle these days.

In his video, Kjellberg stated that he would be making a $50,000 donation to the ADL to celebrate his milestone, an organization dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism and protecting communities from “extremist threats of every kind.” However, not everyone was pleased with this turn of events, with some commenters claiming that the Swede was being blackmailed by the ADL, while others found the organization to be “shady” – and even accused it of “controlling” PewDiePie’s channel. I wanted to show publicly that I can move past it and move on.” The YouTuber’s statement was met with mixed reviews on both sides, with some fans applauding PewDiePie for his donation while others accused the ADL of manipulating him for their own gain. “Felix, The ADL straight up doesn’t care about you,” one user wrote. “You can donate them every penny in the world and it wouldn’t be enough to them. PewDiePie responds after accidentally leaking his email address twice PewDiePie, YouTubeSocial media star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg recently moved all of his live streams to YouTube in an exclusive deal — but one broadcast saw him accidentally leak personal information in front of thousands of viewers. PewDiePie went live on May 14 with fellow YouTuber ‘CinnamonToastKen,’ setting up a few preferences on his Activision account before jumping into a game. However, one of the settings for his Activision profile featured a menu that revealed his personal email address — a massive breach of privacy that he quickly noticed. “Oh, no!” he exclaimed after realizing his address was displayed on screen for all to see. “It f**king shared my email. I’m done. I’m f**king done. Careful. …why would it show that? I don’t need to know it.” Despite claiming that he had plans to set up a new account, anyway, he went back into the game after a short break — and ended up showing his new email, in the process. “No!” he remarked, breaking out into laughter. “It happened again. What the f**k is happening? Alright, rest in peace, the other email. …I’m just a big ole f**k up. Oh, well. It was bound to happen at some point.” Thankfully, the YouTuber clarified that this new email was merely a throwaway, meaning that no real damage was done. PewDiePie commented on the humorous slip-up during a May 20 episode of “LWIAY,” after a few fans posted memes about the incident to his subreddit. “Yeah, first it was the game’s fault,” he clarified. “And then it was just my fault. Because I’m smart like that.” (Topic begins at 1:38 for mobile readers) “Yeah, maybe this live streaming thing wasn’t such a good idea,” he continued after laughing at another meme from a fan. “I am such an idiot. I can’t help it! I’m just born and raised dumb. Very dumb-dumb.” Although he’s lost two email accounts due to his accidental leak, Kjellberg revealed that he isn’t afraid to poke fun at himself — and has probably learned a highly valuable lesson about streaming, in the process.

PewDiePie responds after being called out by 90 Day Fiance’s Big Ed YouTube: PewDiePie / This Is Big EdAs YouTube’s most-subscribed independent creator, it comes as little surprise that Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg might get into beef with other celebs — but no one expected him to clash with a reality TV star. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] TLC’s ‘90 Day Fiancé’ has taken the world by storm, and it’s no surprise why; the show’s unique premise tasks couples who have received or applied for a K-1 Visa with falling in love in only 90 days, as that’s the time limit given to engaged couples to “make arrangements for and have a marriage ceremony.” However, not everything is smooth sailing with these couples, as seen in the case of ‘Big Ed’ and fiancé Rosemarie. Known as the ‘No-Neck Legend,’ Big Ed has become quite the meme across social media spaces, in no small part due to Rosemarie’s facial expressions during their televised conversations. Here’s where PewDiePie comes in: The YouTuber, who boasts over 107 million subscribers, has taken to reacting to 90 Day Fiancé episodes, sharing his opinions on the show to his huge fanbase. https://twitter.com/JASZMlNEFAREED/status/1249381576296652805?s=20 Needless to say, it makes sense that Big Ed has become aware of these videos, prompting him to “call out” Pewds in a lighthearted video on October 8. “PewDiePie, listen, I’m here to counter you and critique you,” Ed announced while holding up a Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots game in front of the camera. “You had your chance, now it’s mine.” Despite his initial claims, Ed went on to congratulate the YouTuber on his anniversary to fellow influencer Marzia Bisognin, who he married in August of last year. “All kidding aside, I want to wish you and Marzia a belated happy anniversary,” he added. “You and I kinda went through the same thing. You married a foreigner, so I think we have a lot in common. Take care for now, and I’ll see you on part two!” Thanks to PewDiePie’s dedicated fanbase, he discovered the video on his subreddit, which he found quite humorous — especially considering that Ed plugged his own merch in the middle of his message to the YouTube star. “That’s crazy!” he laughed. “Hey Big Ed, big ups to you, man. Am I watching a commercial, or am I watching a message? I can’t tell. Apparently Big Ed masks are available, guys. It made it a little less sincere, but hey, I’ll take it.” (Topic begins at 10:44) While it doesn’t seem that these two have any serious beef with each other, their interaction comes as a pleasant — if a bit unexpected — surprise to longtime viewers. …now where’s this ‘part two’ Ed was talking about?

  • PewDiePie reflects on early media coverage as a “total loser” to now – Dexerto

PewDiePie reflects on early media coverage as a “total loser” to now Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is widely hailed as the king of YouTube, boasting the most subscribers out of any independent creator on the site — but his massive success sparked with humble beginnings. Before becoming YouTube’s undisputed king, Kjellberg began as a horror gamer and Let’s Player, whose hilarious reactions to games like “Amnesia: The Dark Descent” earned him ample fame online. Now, the Swede is one of the most famous personalities in gaming (for better or for worse): but the media didn’t always treat him as such, as told by an old newspaper clipping he displayed during a video on December 31. The article, written in 2012, touted PewDiePie as an up-and-coming internet sensation, including an alleged quote from the YouTuber that read, “It [YouTube] has really changed my point of view in life. I was absolutely not the guy who took a bunch of chances, before.” However, Kjellberg contested this quote, claiming that “that doesn’t sound like me at all,” and explained that the media’s treatment of his celebrity status has dramatically changed throughout his career as an online entertainer. “I think a lot of media, in the beginning, tried to make me seem like I was a total loser and down on my luck, ’cause that sounds like a success story,” he explained. “So a lot of the early stuff is, ‘Yeah, you were pretty much a loser.’” This find marks a stark contrast to Kjellberg’s current treatment from the media, with the YouTuber claiming that the 2012 piece was from a time “before the media hated me.” (Timestamp: 6:42 for mobile readers) Comparatively, PewDiePie’s more recent media attention has been rife with controversy, with Kjellberg notably slamming outlets like Vox Media and others for “fake news” and damaging his character — such as their December 2018 article linking him to an alleged white supremacist YouTube channel. Whatever the case may be, PewDiePie isn’t letting mainstream media bring him down, having cleared a massive milestone of 102 million subscribers following his infamous battle with Bollywood music label T-Series earlier this year.

  • PewDiePie releases a T-Series diss track “Bitch Lasagna” – Dexerto

PewDiePie releases a T-Series diss track “Bitch Lasagna” YouTube’s most-subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, just released a diss track roasting competitor channel T-Series – and the song has a pretty hilarious chorus. The track is in collaboration with music artist Party in Backyard, who created the beat behind Pewd’s lyrics. While the track has more than a few hilarious bits, the chorus takes the cake, where Felix calls T-Series “nothing but a bitch lasagna.” “You’re trying to dethrone me for spot number one/ but you’re India, you lose, so best thing you haven’t won.” He likewise calls back to his video covering the channel’s shady growth spurt, citing its huge subscriber base but lack of views on its individual videos. “You’ve got a population of 1.32 billion/ but most [of] your videos can’t seem to hit even a million… sub bot!” The song is now available for download on Spotify, and will soon release on iTunes, as well. It’s no secret that the current ‘King of YouTube’ could lose his crown very soon, thanks to T-Series’ huge growth spurt. However, Felix has noted that users in India who sign up for a YouTube account could be automatically subscribed to the T-Series channel, leading to massive speculation as to the account’s legitimacy. Even though T-Series is projected to surpass PewDiePie by January of 2019, he will still remain the platform’s largest singular creator with over 66 million subscribers. He doesn’t seem to be going down without a fight, though – and his latest diss track adds further fuel to the fire between their (largely one-sided) beef.

  • PewDiePie “really disappointed” with YouTube’s decision to remove Coco diss track – Dexerto

PewDiePie “really disappointed” with YouTube’s decision to remove Coco diss track YouTube: PewDiePieTop YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has finally responded to the removal of his Cocomelon diss track by YouTube, saying he is “really disappointed” by the decision. PewDiePie’s highly anticipated diss track, aimed at kids YouTube channel Cocomelon, was released on February 14, and instantly went viral after it included a surprise challenge to rapper 6ix9ine. The four-minute video also featured Kjellberg dressed up as Mr Rogers, Santa being declared as fake, and pets being “buried.” But, on February 18, the platform disabled the video, citing child safety concerns. YouTube said “This video violated two policies: 1) Child safety: by looking like it was made for kids but containing inappropriate content. 2) Harassment: by inciting harassment @ other creators– we allow criticism but this crossed the line.” PewDiePie responds to YouTube takedown The removal caught everyone by surprise, not least PewDiePie himself. Clearly, a lot of work had gone into making the video, and it hadn’t been intended for children. During a livestream on February 21, fans bombarded the YouTuber with questions about the situation. He says he’s planning a more formal response, but spoke about the incident briefly. “Obviously, the music video got removed by YouTube. If there’s a place for me to address it, it’s not during a livestream, but I also really want to play today. I’m just going to say I’m really disappointed, and I obviously disagree, but I’m not going to address it further than that today.” Topic starts at 8 minutes. “Part of me didn’t want to go live because I knew everyone was just going to ask about it. And I get it. But yeah, not here, sorry.” And he wasn’t wrong, as the chat was filled with fans wanting to know the latest on the situation. It sounds like he plans to make a fuller response to the issue, perhaps in a new video on his channel. YouTube has said that any reuploads of the video will be removed, even if they’re only partial clips. This almost certainly means that the video will never see the light of day again, outside of random reuploads that the platform will presumably strike down as they find them.

  • PewDiePie redesigns criticized Sonic as Thanos, Dr Phil and Shrek – Dexerto

PewDiePie redesigns criticized Sonic as Thanos, Dr Phil and Shrek YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg did his best in creating a new Sonic the Hedgehog design for the upcoming movie, it’s just unlikely any will be used. It’s no surprise the original Sonic the Hedgehog design revealed in the original movie trailer left a lot to be desired, which led Paramount to announce a redesign was in the works. This led some fans to offer their own take on what the new Sonic design could be, including PewDiePie. However, PewDiePie is an entertainer above all else so it doesn’t seem like he was designing a new Sonic the Hedgehog for the purpose of getting it used in a movie but for memes instead. Read More: Asmongold hits back at Pink Sparkles critics after her furious outburst at housemate Mitch Jones – The famous YouTuber instead decided to use Photoshop to make some curious designs, to say the least. Thanos the Hedgehog? Pewds made a video showing him trying to fix Sonic’s design, something he has been rather critical of in the past, even going so far to call Sonic cursed. Instead of creating some real concepts for Paramount to use, he took his talents elsewhere and created a Thanos, Shrek and Dr. Phil design. PewDiePie didn’t stop there as he also designed a Shrek the Hedgehog and Dr. Phil the Hedgehog in Photoshop. These are pretty much nightmares brought to life so while Sonic wasn’t exactly fixed by this video, it’s clear there are some much worse Sonic designs out there outside of the initial design. Take this Dr. Phil design, for example, as it looks more like a nightmare brought to life. One thing we can be thankful for since the bad design came out is the door was opened to countless memes and for artists to offer their takes. Last, but not least, we have Shrek the Hedgehog, which speaks for itself. What is Sonic’s new design? Paramount hasn’t revealed what Sonic the Hedgehog’s new design will be in the upcoming film, but we do know it will be looking different than what was first seen. Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast :wrench::victory:️ — Jeff Fowler (@fowltown) May 2, 2019 There’s no telling if the movie will end up being successful, given the track record of video game movies as a whole, but getting a more faithful Sonic design will go a long way to making it have a better chance at success.

  • PewDiePie reacts to Etika’s arrest and “public breakdown” – Dexerto

PewDiePie reacts to Etika’s arrest and “public breakdown” Etika / PewDiePie YouTubeYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has weighed in on streamer Etika‘s recent troubles, comparing his “public breakdown” to FouseyTube’s 2018 antics. Daniel Desmond ‘Etika’ Amofah found himself back in the news after he went on a lengthy Twitter rant that eventually led to him being taken into police custody and then to a hospital. The very next day he punched a police officer and was again taken to a hospital, this time sectioned in a psych ward. PewDiePie and T-Series have been in a constant battle to become number one on YouTube. PewDiePie pleads with Etika to get help It was a bizarre couple of days for Etika and everyone involved, but things have since cooled down, and PewDiePie, the most popular individual YouTuber on the platform has weighed in on the situation. In his video, PewDiePie reacts to the clip of police coming into Etika’s apartment and listens to his interview on KEEMSTAR’s Drama Alert. He thinks it’s clear Etika is going through some issues, something that is clear to see from the outside looking in. “It’s pretty clear he’s going through a public breakdown, I think anyone can see that,” Pewds said. “It seems very similar to what we’ve seen before with FouseyTube last year when he did FouseyCon.” (Timestamp 4:57 for mobile viewers) If unaware, FouseyCon was a disastrous event that led to an evacuation and cancellation following a bomb threat. Etika hasn’t tried to host an event yet so he’s not quite to that level. PewDiePie appeared genuinely concerned for Etika, despite revealing he doesn’t know him personally but has featured his content a number of times on his own channel. Etika last tweeted on May 1 and has gone dark across social media after dominating it for a couple of days. It’s possible he needed a break from the spotlight for a little bit of time after becoming a worldwide trend for a day.

  • PewDiePie Reacts to Cringey Esports Moments – Ft. Nadeshot, Crimsix, Seagull, Pala and More – Dexerto

PewDiePie Reacts to Cringey Esports Moments – Ft. Nadeshot, Crimsix, Seagull, Pala and More PewDiePie has delved into the world esports interviews and handshakes – where there is no shortage of awkward encounters, reacting to the most cringeworthy moments competitive gaming has to offer. Esports is one of the fastest growing entertainment industries in the world currently, as it pits the best competitive gamers against one in other for massive and always increasing prize pools and acclaim. But, along with the fascinating entertainment and competitive atmosphere, esports has always had its own quirks, which in many ways have likely aided in its success, but are funny to react to nonetheless. PewDiePie’s cringe compilations from the E3 gaming convention are some of his most popular videos, so he has turned to esports next, finding some of the most infamous ‘hand-shake’ moments from down the years. He is also himself known to have less than competent hand shaking ability himself, as he admits in the video, but nothing is quite as bad as handshakes in esports. My favorite thing about esports, isn’t how good they are at video games, it’s how bad they are at human interactions, because they’re always forced to put that on the test as well. Any time they go against each other, they have to finish off with some form of human interaction – whether it’s handshake, bro fist, high-five or hugging. But, rarely it ends well and it leaves us with an infinite source of great cringe material. The video features some of esports biggest stars too, from former OpTic Gaming teammates Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and Ian “Crimsix” Porter, to former professional Overwatch player, Brandon “Seagull” Larned. Perhaps the best moments however, are those during interviews with players, one of which features Seagull, and another with CS:GO presenter Pala. But it’s all fun and games, and even the esports players themselves can poke fun. The opening sequence features a ‘handshake fail’ montage put together by UK esports organizer Gfinity themselves. And OpTic’s Crimsix wasn’t too upset about his cameo appearance.

  • PewDiePie reaches 67 million subscribers on YouTube ahead of T-Series takedown – Dexerto

PewDiePie reaches 67 million subscribers on YouTube ahead of T-Series takedown Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been the undisputed king of YouTube for the past five years, and has just reached another massive milestone on the platform. The YouTuber now sits at over 67 million subscribers – more than any other channel on the site. Felix posted about his achievement in a recent Tweet, which revealed that it could very well mark his last achievement to be the first to accomplish on YouTube. “Just hit 67 million subs!,” he wrote. “Probably my last milestone to be first at reaching.” Just hit 67 mil subs! probably my last milestone to be first at reaching. pic.twitter.com/9zMDRkvOGb — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) October 16, 2018 His Tweet is likely in response to Bollywood music label T-Series, which is projected to surpass PewDiePie in terms of subscribers in early 2019. The channel is growing at a rapid rate, and currently holds over 65 million subscribers – only two million from PewDiePie’s recent reigning count. However, PewDiePie has since questioned the validity of the channel’s subscriber base after finding allegations from Reddit that claim users in India are automatically subscribed to T-Series when they create a YouTube account. In addition, their videos generally do not surpass 200,000 views – a fairly massive disparity that Felix made sure to note in his diss track of the channel. Read More: PewDiePie calls out YouTubers for making mental health based videos to promote BetterHelp – T-Series has been cited as gaining a whopping 150,000 subscribers per day; When combined with India’s massive population and wide internet user base, it looks as though PewDiePie won’t be able to stand in the face of his new enemy – but he will still remain as YouTube’s largest single creator when it happens.

  • PewDiePie reaches major YouTube milestone ahead of T-Series in “comeback of the century” – Dexerto

PewDiePie reaches major YouTube milestone ahead of T-Series in “comeback of the century” PewDiePie, YouTube / T-SeriesYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has secured another major victory over T-Series, reaching a whopping 93 million subscribers on April 4 after releasing his ‘Congratulations’ diss track. While T-Series appeared to take the lead in late March, the song quickly boosted PewDiePie back to the top, and now the race is back on – much to his amusement. PewDiePie discussed his surprising victory during a game of ‘You Laugh, You Lose’ just ahead of his latest milestone achievement, where he called the development “the comeback of the century.” [Timestamp: 2:32 for mobile viewers] “It’s ironic how we made the ‘Congratulations’ song to wrap up the meme, to stop the meme,” he said of the situation. “We finally did it… the comeback of the goddamn century.” His statement rings true; things truly seemed hopeless for the YouTube king, after T-Series scored a convincing lead over PewDiePie for a 5-day period. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVxU2HzPGugSitting at over 100,000 subscribers above PewDiePie, T-Series caused fans to scramble in an effort to retrieve his crown – but PewDiePie’s very own diss track handled the situation for him, with the YouTuber now soaring above his Bollywood nemesis. Why is T-Series growing so quickly? T-Series’ sudden surge in subscribers can be credited to the country’s recent access to Wi-Fi, thanks to mobile network provider Jio. Jio’s services provide citizens with affordable internet in rural areas, meaning that more of India’s population is online than ever before – inciting a mass subscriber increase toward T-Series’ YouTube channel. T-Series “exposed” by PewDiePie Despite the label’s success, PewDiePie’s ‘Congratulations’ diss track dug up some serious dirt against the company, claiming that it had begun its business by providing pirated songs – and even linked CEO Bhushan Kumar to the Indian mafia. That’s not all; PewDiePie likewise mentioned a sexual harassment case against Kumar, which was later withdrawn in early 2019 after the claimant admitted the allegations were false. Despite these claims, T-Series continues to thrive, thanks to several of its videos going viral in the process – but PewDiePie’s dedicated fanbase are making sure he reaches 100 million subs ahead of the label in the meantime.

  • PewDiePie raises $1.5 million for charity from YouTube members alone – Dexerto

PewDiePie raises $1.5 million for charity from YouTube members alone YouTube: PewDiePieYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has donated $1.5 million to various charities thanks to channel membership revenue he earned throughout 2020 and 2021. PewDiePie is without a doubt one of the biggest YouTubers out there, and with 110 million subscribers is the fourth most followed YouTube channel on the entire site. The creator has been known to make plenty of charitable donations in the past using the revenue he makes from his channel, and in November 2020 even revealed that he’d been donating the money he earned from Super Chats during streams to charity. On August 29, the Swede went on to reveal that he’s managed to donate a huge amount of money to charity over the last year or so thanks to revenue from channel membership. “In 2020 and 2021, through membership revenue – which I vouched to donate to charity – we were able to donate the total of $1,520,003 for various amazing charities,” he wrote in a community update. The full list of charities the huge amount of money went towards are: Winston’s Wish – Save the Children (Lebanon) – Blue Ocean Foundation – Papyrus – Movember – Comic Relief / Red Nose Day – Book Trust – World Food Program – Make A Wish – Alzheimer’s Research – Centre for Effective Altruism – Pewds went on to give his “biggest thanks to everyone for making this possible.” Fans were naturally blown away by the generous donation, and quickly praised the YouTuber in the comments of his community post. “Pewds is legitimately so generous, I don’t understand how people can hate this man,” one follower wrote, another adding: “The fact he gets over $1 million through memberships is insane. What’s even more insane is that he donates it.” The post received over 130,000 likes and 2000 comments, with people praising the YouTuber for making such a big impact on these charities.

PewDiePie raises over $106k for BLM efforts during charity stream PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg went live on June 3 to help raise money and awareness for ongoing worldwide protests, raising over $106,000 in donations for the Black Lives Matter initiative. In wake of current world events, Kjellberg took to YouTube to help the cause, promising that all SuperChat donations would be split evenly between three charitable groups. The forthcoming contributions were sent to the family of George Floyd and “other victims of police violence,” criminal punishment charity The Sentencing Project, as well as small businesses effected by looting and rioting. “So many people are rightfully angry and want to make things right,” Kjellberg wrote two days prior to his stream. “I think we all wish there was an easy answer and been struggling myself with how to participate and make a positive change.” That same day, he unveiled the fruits of his charity stream in a YouTube Community post, revealing that his fans had raised a whopping $106,000 for the three groups — an amount that the social media celebrity added to with a $10,000 donation of his own. “Today is a day that I just feel so d**n grateful for so many things,” he wrote. “An amazing wife, friends, and family, but also so d**n proud of my audience on YT! We managed to raise over $106k + 10k (my contribution) to victims of police violence, The Sentencing Project, and for small businesses affected by looting/riots.” The social media celeb went on to thank his fanbase and donators for their “massive impact” — an initiative that has been added to those of others from massive online entertainers such as Logan Paul, who went viral for his heated speech on the Black Lives Matter movement on June 2. This is far from the first time PewDiePie has organized a massive charity drive; the star notably raised over $630,000 for underprivileged youth organization Save the Children, as well as over $1 million for RED to help combat AIDS/HIV in Africa. While he hasn’t been vocal about his charity drive outside of YouTube, his efforts have been met with praise from fans as the world continues the fight for justice — both on and off the net.

PewDiePie puts Lilly Singh on blast, compares her to viral meme PewDiePie, YouTube / The Cut / Vexikkk, DeviantartYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is taking even more shots at popular YouTuber Lilly Singh, after shading her performance in HBO’s Fahrenheit 451. Now, he’s comparing her to a viral meme from a Looney Tunes cartoon. PewDiePie brought up Singh yet again in his ‘Meme Awards 2018’ video on December 31, where he compared the viral YouTuber and actress to the ‘Big Chungus’ meme of recent internet fame. “I don’t think people fathom how big Big Chungus really is,” Pewds said of the meme. “Big Chungus has gotten so popular that they got a live action [movie] confirmed with it, and it’s played by Lilly Singh. Finally, a real actor, playing a really important role.” Appearing in the 1941 Merrie Melodies ‘Wabbit Twouble’ episode, ‘Big Chungus’ is merely Bugs Bunny’s imitation of Elmer Fudd, which has since gained fame as a widespread meme – thanks to an anonymous 4chan user. This isn’t the first time Pewds has thrown major shade toward Singh; in fact, he’s taken issue with the YouTuber on multiple occasions, shading her role in HBO’s ‘Fahrenheit 451’ and even going so far as to call her an “idiot and a crybaby,” for her stance on Forbe’s top 10 list of highest earning YouTubers. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/big-chungus Pewds isn’t the only major YouTuber to take shots at Singh, either – Drama Alert’s Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem called out Singh in a critical Tweet on December 27, calling the YouTuber “too plastic” due to her ‘12 Collabs of Christmas’ initiative, which saw her team up with the likes of television personality Dr. Phil, actor Terry Crews, and even John Cena, among other celebs. While Singh has addressed PewDiePie’s comments via Twitter, it doesn’t look like the two YouTubers are making up any time soon. @IISuperwomanII you are trying to hard & becoming too plastic. • PewDiePie gets questionable result using Gradient celebrity face app – Dexerto

PewDiePie gets questionable result using Gradient celebrity face app It seems everyone has been using the Gradient app to find out which celebrity they look most like, often providing some interesting results – but YouTube’s most subscribed individual PewDiePie may have got the most debatable result yet. The Swedish native, real name Felix Kjellberg, has been making waves for as long as some content creators have even been on YouTube – most recently his huge race to 100 million subscribers and revealing his first-ever G Fuel flavor. Now he’s the one catching a wave, as countless people have been using the Gradient app to find out which celebrity they most resemble. Of course, these facial recognition apps can’t always be completely accurate, but it seems to have really faltered when PewDiePie used it. In a tweet published on October 18, PewDiePie shared his results to his 19 million followers, who were quick to note that the app might have got something wrong. The screenshot shows us the progression of PewDiePie to none other than multiple-time platinum recording artist Snoop Dogg. In the tweet, the Swede simply said: “Snoop de oh double gee LESS GO!” Snoop de oh double gee LESS GO! pic.twitter.com/ut3JirtVil — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) October 18, 2019 It’s fair to say Gradient may have missed the mark on this one, with the most-subscribed YouTuber bearing very little resemblance to Snoop – and we’re not sure either party would disagree on that. It’s also pretty disturbing to look at the progression pictures, a blend of both Snoop and Pewds, not a face we would ever expect to see. With the app growing in popularity, expect to see a lot more of your favorite YouTubers, content creators and pro players to be sharing which celebrity they supposedly look like – hopefully, most will be more accurate than PewDiePie’s.

  • PewDiePie praises Pokimane’s “amazing” new PC setup – Dexerto

PewDiePie praises Pokimane’s “amazing” new PC setup YouTube: PewDiePie / PokimaneYouTube king PewDiePie is finally doling out praise for Pokimane’s latest PC setup after initially grilling her “uncomfortable” cable management. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is YouTube’s most-subscribed content creator — and as such, his PC setup is quite important to his career choice. Recently, Pewds flexed his latest setup after finally moving from the UK to Japan, where he boasts a far more minimalist office than his previous workspace. To celebrate the big reveal, PewDiePie decided to review the setups of other major content creators, including that of Twitch streaming star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys. Kjellberg had initially reviewed Pokimane’s setup back in 2021, and he couldn’t help himself from recoiling from her cable management… which was less ‘management’ and more a ton of cables gathered underneath her desk. Luckily, Pokimane has since upgraded her setup in a huge way since moving to her new house, and all her cables are neatly tucked right under her desktop where they’re out of the way. PewDiePie seemed impressed by this change and had nothing but praise for her shiny new streaming station. “There’s been an update,” he began. “I was being harsh because her cable management was the worst thing I’ve ever seen. But I’m happy to see that someone has helped her take care of it.” “That’s so much better,” he continued. “She gets it. You have this amazing, super-expensive setup, but no cables? This is amazing! …that’s so much better. That looks great.” However, one thing PewDiePie didn’t agree with was the soundproofing foam on Pokimane’s walls, arguing that all one needs is a decent mic to produce good sound and saying they’re a “pain to remove.” Luckily, it looks like Pokimane’s new setup has earned PewDiePie’s seal of approval. We’re anxious to see her response to his comments, although she was able to laugh off his previous criticisms about her computer cables.

  • PewDiePie propels Minecraft to top spot of 2019 YouTube games – Dexerto

PewDiePie propels Minecraft to top spot of 2019 YouTube games After a noticeable absence in the 2018 Rewind, YouTube gave special notice to one of its greatest creators in PewDiePie in this year’s version and focused on how his return to Minecraft helped propel the game to the top of the YouTube charts. YouTube were very forthcoming about the backlash towards the 2018 Rewind. In announcing the 2019 iteration of the yearly look-back video, they acknowledged how they dropped the ball last year with a compilation of negative reactions to the video. This year, they made the easy decision of dedicating the Rewind to the biggest creators and creations of the calendar year on YouTube. They made two mentions of widely popular YouTuber PewDiePie. First, his widely covered sub war with the T-series channel, and his impactful Minecraft series. But how impactful could a Minecraft YouTuber series can be, even from a big name like PewDiePie? Well according to YouTube themselves, he was pivotal in pushing Minecraft forward into a landmark year in what’s been an iconic decade for the game. On their Rewind section, YouTube said the game’s increased viewership went hand-in-hand with Felix’s decision to return to Minecraft in June of this year. This began with the aptly named Minecraft Part 1, which generated over 34 million views and over 2 million likes all on its own. That video was one of three this year to crack into the personal top 25 videos of PewDiePie in all-time viewership, behind the unboxing video of his 100 million subscriber award, and his own version of the infamous 2018 YouTube Rewind. Felix’s Minecraft journey has taken many twists and turns. In the half a year since he started playing, he’s done 12-hour streams, collaborated with Jack Black and Jacksepticeye, battled monsters, boosted Mr. Beast’s tree-planting charity, and even made a music video that of course went viral. According to the YouTube Rewind 2019 video itself, Minecraft in total cracked 100 billion views for the year. Fortnite and GTA 5 trailed it with 60.9 billion views and 36.9 billion, respectively. While PewDiePie was certainly not responsible for all of those views, YouTube did denote that the amount of Minecraft uploads increased after he began its series. After a landmark year to end the decade, Mojang (the game’s developer) will look to expand Minecraft’s horizons next year with the release of their co-op adventure game: Minecraft Dungeons.

PewDiePie pokes fun at critics with “unintentional racism” meme video PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube’s top creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, uploaded a video on January 5, where he poked fun at his critics by reviewing “unintentional racism” memes – throwing particular shade toward news and opinion website Vox. Pewd’s video began with a mock “hack” into the website, followed by the YouTuber appearing in front of a green screen backdrop depicting Vox’s offices. PewDiePie likewise made a tongue-in-cheek statement referencing the mass amounts of criticism he received after promoting an anti-Semitic website in early December of 2018. “You’re either racist, or you’re not – there’s no in-between,” PewDiePie laughed. “There are never any excuses – ever. …I am ‘smhing’ and disgusted right now,” he continued, referencing the ‘Accidental Racism’ subreddit he went on to review. PewDiePie ended the segment with a statement clarifying that the video was made in jest, noting that “unintentional racism” would always exist despite the media’s efforts to suppress or censor “humor.” “It’s just jokes,” Pewds explained. “…you can stop making these kinds of jokes, you can forbid humor… but at the end of the day, unintentional racism will always exist because people are always stupid.” PewDiePie’s video addresses the media’s response to his previous scandals, including the incident where he uttered a racial slur during a live stream in September 2017, as well as the anti-Semitic joke he made in an attempt to showcase the boundaries of freelance website ‘Fiverr’ in February 2017. PewDiePie has since taken issue with coverage of his controversies, calling out Vox and other websites in a slew of videos following his channel promotion in 2018.
