PewDiePie reveals his future YouTube plans after returning from break YouTube: PewDiePieAfter a month-long break, the king of YouTube Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is back. Returning from his recent hiatus, the Swede made his triumphant return on February 21 by catching up on memes. The YouTube star first announced his plans for a break in December 2019, stating that he was “tired.” And on January 15, he bid his 103 million subscribers a temporary farewell. However after a month of radio silence, PewDiePie is finally back, after announcing on February 20 that he would return “tomorrow” in an Instagram story. The Swedish star uploaded a 15-minute video where he reacted to world’s best memes that he had missed while on vacation, and it’s as glorious as you would expect. PewDiePie returns to YouTube “I have returned!” the YouTuber exclaimed at the start of his February 21 video. “I broke my 10 year streak of daily uploads to go on a one-month break to do…” he paused, as the sound of crickets played. He admitted that he hadn’t done much at all, but stated “It’s been nice actually!” He then went to browse his folder of missed memes, and reacted to his subreddit having descended into chaos while on break. “I always wondered what you guys would do. What’s going to happen to the subreddit. Now we know. Absolute garbage, thank you!” he joked. The Swede then gave hints about his future plans. “Technically I wouldn’t have to come back. I could retire if I wanted to. It was good for me to take a break, to sort of process what I’m doing, and what I want to do in the future. And there is definitely some changes I will have to do with the channel, but I’ll do them gradually,” he said. He then confessed, “I’ve been obsessing too much about YouTube, and pushing myself way too hard for too long. There is other stuff I want to do. I’m working on bigger projects as well. Although I have been missing it a lot!” Pewds also opened about how much he appreciates his viewers. “I thought I wouldn’t be able to go on a break. Maybe I’m so addicted. Turns out I’m completely fine. It made me appreciate that I have an audience. I kind of just taken it for granted,” he said. “And I’ve only seen the negative parts of having an audience. Just because my following became so big, that I became really tired of constantly being asked for stuff.” The YouTuber ended the video by stating that he will be uploading daily again, and also thanked his fans. “Thank you for all the nice and lovely supportive comments while I was gone, that really cheered me up,” he said. “It’s been really healthy and good for me to take this break. I appreciate everyone’s patience.” (Timestamp 02:08 for mobile users.) It seems the break was much needed for PewDiePie, as he joked about how “tired” and “frustrated” he looked before taking his hiatus. Given that he consistently created daily uploads for 10 years, it was certainly well-deserved. Despite being away for over 30 days, the YouTuber shows no signs of slowing down in 2020. Given that last year was his biggest yet, fans are no doubt excited to see the next phase of his channel.

PewDiePie finally responds to YouTube “shadowban” glitch – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally responds to YouTube “shadowban” glitch YouTube: PewDiePieOn October 26, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg responded to a glitch that omitted his YouTube channel from searches a few days before. The bug sparked widespread speculation that he had been “shadowbanned” by Google. [jwplayer IX7jLp7f] The YouTube community was rocked on October 19 when rumors began to spread that the platform’s largest content creator, PewDiePie, had been shadowbanned. However, it was quickly clarified to be a bug and his account was fixed. The Swede addressed the drama in his first video back since the glitch. While the star believed that people were too quick to jump to conclusions about him being banned, he did have questions for Google as to why his channel was the only one affected. PewDiePie responds to YouTube after “shadowban” glitch Fans of the personality became concerned on October 19 when his channel disappeared from searches on YouTube. His latest video tanked in views as no one could see it without a direct link. Google then released a statement and said it was an error before fixing his channel hours later. Responding to the incident, Pewds revealed that he didn’t think he was shadowbanned as his account had been having issues for days. “People started noticing my video wasn’t getting any views. And it just went everywhere. There was a bunch of news for it!” he said, before he joked, “Shadow ban! They creep from the shadows and they ban you!” Despite not being overly concerned, Kjellberg did find it peculiar that it mainly impacted his channel and nobody else’s. “I didn’t think they shadowbanned me, I just assumed it was a glitch. But it begs the question, how does that happen? How did it happen? It didn’t happen to anyone else. I asked around.” (Topic starts at 01:31) The popular entertainer later joked about YouTube trying to explain the glitch, after reacting to a fan submission on Reddit. “We shadowbanned our biggest creator! Yeah, yeah it was weird. It was weird, what in the world,” he said. To add salt to the wound, Pewds celebrated his birthday on October 24, but instead of well wishes from fans, his subreddit was flooded with users concerned that he had been shadowbanned by Google. It should also be stated there is no confirmation that the company even does bans in this manner. At the time of writing, the star’s account is back to normal, and his uploads are getting millions of views again. If nothing else, the incident shows just how many people love the 31-year-old entertainer. Viewers were quick to rally together for the content creator – further proof that Kjellberg is the king of the platform.

PewDiePie finally reacts to hitting 100 million YouTube subscribers – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally reacts to hitting 100 million YouTube subscribers YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has finally reacted to his unprecedented achievement of surpassing 100 million subscribers. Since starting his channel back in 2011, PewDiePie has quite simply been a phenomenon on YouTube. He has set trends for games to play, been getting celebrities involved with collaboration videos, and even going head-to-head with a country-backed channel in T-Series for a chance at hitting the top spot. He ultimately lost that over year-long war with T-Series, but it didn’t stop him from pushing on to become the first solo YouTube channel with 100 million subscribers. He passed that mark on August 25, receiving a ton of praise from fellow creators in the process. After a few days of silence, in part thanks to being on his honeymoon, PewDiePie finally spoke out about his accomplishment – thanking fans for their efforts in the process. Pewds tweeted: “We did it! What an unreal achievement! 100,000,000 thanks to all of you for the endless support and effort! I don’t feel worthy, but I’m forever grateful,” with a love heart, brofist, and 100 emojis all attached. We did it! What an unreal achievement! 100 000 000 thanks to all of you for the endless support and effort! He is going to pay up on that promise, but it’ll have to wait until he gets back from his honeymoon. “12h Livestream and the fattest brofist, as soon as I’m back from honeymoon,” he added, following up on his initial tweet. 12h Livestream and the fattest brofist, as soon as I’m back from honeymoon! :triumph: — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) August 26, 2019 Just when that will be, however, is unknown as the YouTuber has not revealed any details about his break. He finally married long-time partner Marzia Bisognin on August 19, but even that was kept in secrecy until after the union had happened. Either way, with such a big milestone being knocked down, Pewds’ will undoubtedly ramp up the quality content for his fans – they’ll just have to sit back and enjoy the show.

PewDiePie Finally Responds to Twitch Streamer Alinity Over Copyright Strike Scandal – Dexerto
PewDiePie Finally Responds to Twitch Streamer Alinity Over Copyright Strike Scandal Alinity / PewDiePieThe on going feud between the most subscriber YouTuber, Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg and Twitch streamer Alinity may finally be settled, after PewDiePie addressed the situation. The dispute began after a video in which PewDiePie labelled Alinity and some other female streamers ‘Twitch thots’, which when Alinity saw she threatened to “copy strike” the video. What Alinity was alluding to was filing a copyright claim on the video, as it featured her content, and thus make revenue from it. More: Twitch Streamer Alinity Copyright Strikes More YouTube Videos of Her Following PewDiePie Incident – It turned out this was a process Alinity was involved in frequently, through an agency called CollabDRM, who would file these claims on her behalf. Alinity even bragged of the money she would receive from these claims, amounting to “$700 last month”. Of course, many of these claims are not legitimate, and are making claims on videos protected under fair use. YouTube creators are permitted to include content from others, provided it is ‘transformative’, meaning they provide commentary, criticism, review or reaction to the content. Alinity was heavily criticized for her open engagement in these copyright claims, some of which targeted small channels unable to fight the claim effectively. PewDiePie was relatively quiet on the issue for a few days, but has now made a video addressing the incident. I very jokingly said out randomly in the video ‘stupid Twitch thots’. My intention is never to upset people with my videos, and I thought it was easier to just cut her out. But, before we were able to do that, the video did in fact get copy ‘striked’. The day after, she made a follow up to this, where she sort of boasted: ‘Yeh, it was me guys.’ […] Alinity admits publicly to abusing copyright law, basically an illegal act that could hold up in a court of law. My videos are 100% protected by fair use. She didn’t like what I said, so she wanted to take down my video – or at least claim the ‘good money’ for it. PewDiePie goes on to criticize Alinity’s statement, which she later deleted, which explained she felt PewDiePie was objectifying women to his young audience. PewDiePie highlights the irony in this claim. More: Philip De Franco Investigates Alinity and PewDiePie Copyright Scandal Calling it “A disgusting move” – He also specifically targets CollabDRM, the agency working to claim Alinity’s content, saying that they ‘abuse’ their power. PewDiePie finally pays Logan Paul back for help in battle with T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally pays Logan Paul back for help in battle with T-Series It took him a little while, but Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Hjallberg paid back Logan Paul for helping him out in the battle of YouTube supremacy over the Indian music label T-Series. PewDiePie has been the most subscribed channel on YouTube since 2013, but his top-spot has been famously threatened by T-Series leading the Swedish YouTuber to enlist the internet in hopes of retaining the top spot. Paul lent the Pewds some assistance when he uploaded a video on December 6 titled “Hello PewDiePie… The Logang is here” that saw two opposite sides of YouTube merging under one cause, but now the favor’s been repaid. PewDiePie fulfilled Paul’s requirement for the assistance by wearing a piece of Maverick-branded clothing in one of his videos, showing solidarity between the two YouTubers. “I’m a Maverick now,” PewDiePie said while wearing Paul’s “Favorite Hoodie” to signify the alliance. “That’s right. And I’m not afraid to say it any more.” Paul is one of the sites biggest channels with 18 million subscribers, and it’s been a wild ride since he and other content creators have rallied behind PewDiePie. But it’s high time for the Swede to give back for those helping him. Although PewDiePie admitted that Paul “demanded” he wear the shirt on video, Pewds wanted the gesture to point at something larger. “I think it’s safe to say that I didn’t like Logan Paul before it was cool, but I think it [reaches] a point where it becomes a dead meme and I was starting to feel bad for him,” PewDiePie said. “From someone who has personally made a lot of mistakes that will definitely haunt me for the rest of my life, I think the kid deserves a break.” The Swede was visibly uncomfortable with the notion while being in the sweater, but he reaffirmed his Maverick status along with his newfound support for Paul.

PewDiePie finally delivers on 12-hour Minecraft stream – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally delivers on 12-hour Minecraft stream PewDiePie, YouTube / MicrosoftYouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is coming off an insanely successful streak in his career, breaking 101 million subscribers and even getting married to fiance Marzia Bisognin – and he’s celebrating with a massive Minecraft stream. Kjellberg teased the stream in a Tweet on August 26, claiming that he would celebrate his major YouTube milestone with a 12-hour Minecraft broadcast upon returning from his honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia. Calling his milestone an “unbelievable achievement,” the YouTube king promised a “12 hour livestream and the fattest brofist” on his return – and now, he’s finally delivering on that promise. 12h Livestream and the fattest brofist, as soon as I’m back from honeymoon! :triumph: — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) August 26, 2019 PewDiePie went live on September 17 for a Minecraft Hardcore mode broadcast on DLive, a broadcasting platform that he exclusively partnered with in April over sites like Twitch and YouTube. Despite dedicating his stream to Minecraft, Kjellberg also took the opportunity to broadcast his latest episode of Meme Review in wake of his popularity with the game’s community. The stream is still live at the time of writing, and fans can catch the the “hardcore” hijinks via his channel on DLive. https://dlive.tv/PewDiePie While PewDiePie Tweeted out an announcement for the stream prior to his honeymoon, the Swede also teased the livestream during an episode of LWIAY on August 12, knowing that his massive fanbase would be begging for a huge Minecraft stream to honor his success. “No one’s gonna want anything else,” he said of the idea. “Let’s get real here. Come on, gamers. 12 hour livestream at 100 million.” (Timestamp: 5:44 for mobile viewers) As it happens, Kjellberg was right: at hour nine, his broadcast boasts well over 59,000 viewers, and more are pouring in. Although Kjellberg has kept his word, this wouldn’t be the first time the YouTuber has made a grandiose promise to his audience – in fact, the YouTuber even claimed he would delete his channel after reaching 50 million subs in 2016. While his threat was obviously a joke, it’s safe to say that fans are relieved that PewDiePie didn’t make good on that particular promise, with the Swede diving further into his Minecraft fanbase in celebration of YouTube’s greatest milestone yet for an independent creator.

PewDiePie finally finishes building his giant tambourine tower – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally finishes building his giant tambourine tower YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]After months of teasing, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg finally built his massive tower of tambourines. The YouTube king took his Animal Crossing meme to ridiculous heights. PewDiePie, for many, has become a pivotal face in internet culture. The Swedish star boasts over 106 million subscribers, and hosts a show called Meme Review that has had guests such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In his August 23 video, the content creator took his tambourine meme to the next level by building a massive tower out of the instruments. The 30-year-old brought his running gag to life in the most hilarious way. PewDiePie erects tower out of 69 tambourines Fans of the YouTuber were first introduced to the tambourine gag when the star played Animal Crossing back in April. The hilarious joke has become a recurring thing on his channel, along with his Floor Gang meme. After months of joking around, PewDiePie finally made his wish come true and created a massive tower out of the instrument. For his August 23 upload, the entertainer spent over $2.3k to build his tambourine project. The content creator then cut to his house, where massive boxes with 50 tambourines were shipped to him. “This cost more than your engagement ring,” he joked to wife Marzia, before quickly realizing it would take forever to tape together 50 instruments, so he switched to glue. After several attempts to speed up the process failed, he went back to the adhesive. “Someone might die if this falls!” he joked. The star finished his absurd creation by adding 19 more to get to the number ’69’ and had to climb a ladder to reach the top. He then celebrated by smacking the instruments and screaming “YES! YES! YES!” (Topic starts at 18:51) As far as whether he’s truly finished with the tower, the YouTuber stated “Keep adding tambourines. We are gonna build it to the moon. To the moon, baby!” He ended the video saying that it was finished and joked, “They said I couldn’t do it. But I did it!” While many may know PewDiePie for his gaming content, the popular creator is also willing to go to great lengths for a meme. That even includes spending thousands of dollars to make a truly epic tambourine tower that reaches the ceiling.

PewDiePie finally chimes in on Colleen Ballinger’s “cringe” ukulele apology – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally chimes in on Colleen Ballinger’s “cringe” ukulele apology YouTube: Colleen Vlogs, PewDiePieYouTube star PewDiePie has finally given his verdict on Colleen Ballinger’s viral ukulele apology, slamming the video as “weird,” “cringe,” and even calling the creator a “narcissist.” In summer 2023, longtime YouTuber Colleen Ballinger (AKA Miranda Sings) came under fire after she was met with a plethora of allegations accusing her of inappropriate behavior toward her young fans over the years. In response to the ordeal, Ballinger uploaded a ten-minute long video to YouTube, in which she acknowledged that her legal team had advised her not to say anything about the situation publicly — but “realized that they never said that I couldn’t sing.” She went on to belt out a now-viral ditty about the “toxic gossip train” of “misinformation” spreading about her, claiming she had taken “accountability” for her behavior and explaining that she wasn’t trying to be “creepy,” but describing herself as a “weird aunt” who “was just trying to be besties with everybody.” PewDiePie slams Colleen Ballinger’s “painful” ukulele apology Months later, Swedish YouTube star PewDiePie (formerly YouTube’s most-subscribed creator) officially offered his response to Ballinger’s infamous response video… and he had a lot to say about it. “I can’t watch this video,” he admitted. “It’s too cringy. I can never make it past the one-minute mark. …this is painful. I can’t do it.” He went on to speculate that Ballinger is holding comments underneath her video for review to possibly combat negative replies after one of his comments asking for a “Spotify link” to the song wasn’t showing up. “It’s the kind of thing where at some point she should have realized, this is f*cking weird,” he continued. “Just like at some point she should have realized, you know what, maybe I shouldn’t whip out a ukulele and sing — but I guess some people just don’t have that.” (Topic begins at 1:10) The YouTuber went on to call out Ballinger for “narcissism,” calling her behavior toward her fans “creepy” despite her supposed intentions. Overall, PewDiePie sarcastically scored Ballinger’s video as a 10/10 “peak” apology video, seemingly baffled at her bizarre response to the situation. PewDiePie himself is no stranger to making apologies in reaction to controversies, but he’s managed to avoid criticism over the years after moving to Japan with his wife, Marzia, recently welcoming his first child into the world in July.

PewDiePie finally debunks long-running Markiplier tweet mystery – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally debunks long-running Markiplier tweet mystery YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was vindicated during his latest upload after a fan debunked a fake tweet that had been contributed to him for years. The Swedish star was happy that the mystery was finally put to rest. For many, PewDiePie has been the face of YouTube for the last decade. The 30-year-old went from his humble roots in Sweden to becoming one of the most recognized entertainers in the world with over 107 million subscribers on his channel. While the content creator has become known for his mastery of online memes, he has been teased by fans over the last year for a tweet he supposedly wrote years ago about Mark ‘Markiplier’ Fischbach. Only, he didn’t actually write it. PewDiePie vindicated over tweet mystery In 2018, images of a supposed tweet from PewDiePie surfaced online. The less-than-savory Markiplier post became a meme in 2020 when fans began to tease him for not living up to his promise. “I can not for the love of God remember this tweet. But I have not seen any tweet more times than this,” he said in a previous video. During his September 22 upload, Pewds was vindicated when he reacted to a fan who made a video debunking the image. “So true! I knew I wasn’t crazy. I knew I never tweeted that. I don’t remember it. You f**king gaslit me!” he joked to his viewers. He then celebrated and exclaimed, “Finally! Your Honor, I’m free!” The eagle-eyed fan looked at snapshots of the creator’s Twitter account on the Wayback Machine site, and realized that the profile image in the fake tweet was from April 2018 when he changed it, meaning the post couldn’t have been deleted until a year later. So it should show up in his 2017 archives – but it doesn’t. (Topic starts at 14:51) After debunking the long-running image, the viewer said, “Whatever your fantasies may be, it is time for you to accept this reality and to stop reposting this fake screenshot.” It’s not entirely clear how the meme started, or where the image even came from. However it’s been floating around on social media for years, and has been a constant meme in 2020. Now, the YouTuber can finally rest easy knowing that he didn’t actually write it. Read More: How to get the anime filter on TikTok – Fake tweets aside, PewDiePie continues to crush it this year. In September, he reached over 107 million subscribers to his channel. PewDiePie finally addresses mysterious Twitch ban and “hack” rumors – Dexerto
PewDiePie finally addresses mysterious Twitch ban and “hack” rumors YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king PewDiePie has finally addressed his mysterious Twitch ban, as well as rumors of being “hacked” after his profile suddenly went dark on May 8. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg might be YouTube royalty, but he made a major comeback on Twitch earlier this year in a move that had the entire internet talking. On March 21, Kjellberg’s Twitch account went live for the first time in years — but he wasn’t exactly live streaming. Instead, he found a genius workaround for the platform by broadcasting his massive backlog of YouTube content 24/7. Of course, many folks speculated that he’d been hacked, but PewDiePie debunked these claims in a May 25 video… along with some other information. On May 8, PewDiePie’s Twitch account was suddenly banned, with no information available at first glance for fans to glean a reason for the mysterious suspension. PewDiePie himself was also quiet as to the reason for his ban, which was lifted a mere three days later. And, according to the YouTuber, he doesn’t even know why he was banned… although he speculated it may have had to do with his content from 2017. PewDiePie admits he doesn’t know why Twitch channel was banned “It’s really cool, because Twitch — just like YouTube — doesn’t say what made you banned, so I don’t know,” he said of the situation in a May 25 YouTube video. “I probably shouldn’t have been streaming the videos from 2017, but hey. It was a weird time.” Kjellberg also addressed the reason why he started streaming his old videos 24/7 on Twitch, saying he was doing it as an experiment and creating a fun opportunity for his fans to connect over his content. “Everyone thought I was hacked first, because we were doing a 24/7 live stream on Twitch just for fun. I thought it could be a good way to make people have the chat and watch videos together, and it’s there if people want it.” (Topic begins at 4:48) Luckily for fans, PewDiePie’s Twitch channel has been back up and running for about two weeks now. This is just the latest news to come from PewDiePie after fans were convinced they’d figured out the gender of his unborn baby due to some subtle clues in his last vlog.

Has PewDiePie finally been beaten by T-Series? – Dexerto
Has PewDiePie finally been beaten by T-Series? PewDiePie, YouTubeWhile Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been entangled in a brutal battle with Bollywood label T-Series for months now, it appears that the YouTuber has finally succumbed to defeat. T-Series surpassed PewDiePie on March 26, taking the lead by a whopping 3,600 subscribers – which quickly grew to 8,000, then 10,000 subs, causing panic among PewDiePie’s fanbase. After a quick back-and-forth between the opposing channels, T-Series took another massive lead on March 27, and now sits at over 28,000 subscribers above Kjellberg as of 12 PM PST. xQc’s hilarious hair appointment stream has spawned brand-new memesIn fact, PewDiePie admitted to “not understanding” his constant victory over the label in an episode of LWIAY on March 22, after T-Series beat the YouTuber by a startling 30,000 subscribers a few days prior. [Timestamp: 1:37 for mobile viewers] Despite this disparity, Kjellberg managed to gain the upper hand shortly thereafter, and even reached 91 million subs in the process. While the reason for T-Series’ most recent victory is currently unknown, their previous boost came after a trailer for movie ‘PM Narendra Mori’ went viral, garnering over five million views in under 16 hours. With India gaining Wi-Fi at breakneck speeds, thanks to low pricing by mobile network provider Jio, it seems like more and more channels are subscribing to T-Series (which may also be due in part by an automatic subscriber system for the label). While PewDiePie has yet to speak out on this latest development, he did feature special guest “Blue Shirt Kid” in an episode of Meme Review on March 27, who was also featured in an Asian Boss video regarding Indian Citizens’ thoughts on the T-Series subscriber war. Although he is slowly hacking away at the subscriber gap, it doesn’t look like the YouTuber will make another comeback – unless he pulls out the big guns with another celebrity guest, a la Elon Musk or Ben Shapiro. While T-Series was projected to beat out PewDiePie in early 2019, the YouTuber managed to hold out until now, thanks to the efforts of other top YouTubers, celebrities, hackers, and other members of his dedicated fanbase.

PewDiePie fans want Epic Games and Fortnite to help him defeat T-Series subscribers – Dexerto
PewDiePie fans want Epic Games and Fortnite to help him defeat T-Series subscribers With the ongoing battle for most subscribed YouTube channel getting closer between PewDiePie and T-Series, fans of the former think that Epic Games and Fortnite could help tip the scales. Currently, PewDiePie still holds the title as the most subscribed YouTube channel, with just shy of 70 million, but Indian record label and production company T-Series is gaining on him, and fast. It is estimated that in the next month, PewDiePie will lose his long held crown as number 1, but the community has rallied behind him, attempting to prevent a corporate channel taking the top spot. But, PewDiePie fans that double as Fortnite players think enlisting the help of another corporation could be the difference maker, suggesting Epic Games step in and take action. Redditor ‘FrankTheReal’ shared his idea to have Epic add a skin to the game which requires users to subscribe to PewDiePie to receive, which quickly received support across PewDiePie and Fortnite sub reddits. The idea, although unlikely, isn’t impossible. After all, Epic Games previously added a PewDiePie inspired banner to the Save the World mode, emblazoned with his ‘bro fist’ logo. However, Epic Games is very unlikely to show such favoritism to a content creator, particularly one who doesn’t often play Fortnite at all – especially after Ninja’s reaction to believing they had added a Summit1G skin to the game. 400In fact, there are currently no skins inspired by content creators, despite the obvious popularity they would receive, likely because Epic doesn’t want to cause any controversy with accusations of favoritism. At the time of writing, PewDiePie is leading T-Series by around half a million subscribers, recently tipping over 70 million – see the live subscriber counts here.

PewDiePie fends off T-Series with last-minute Minecraft stream – Dexerto
PewDiePie fends off T-Series with last-minute Minecraft stream PewDiePie, YouTube / MinecraftYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was just over 18,000 subscribers away from being overtaken by Bollywood label T-Series when he pulled out all the stops with an emergency Minecraft stream. PewDiePie went live on February 17, just as T-Series appeared to be winning their race with a mere 18,000 sub gap between the two channels. PewDiePie engaged in a series of variety games within Minecraft with his fanbase, playing everything from a version of Pictionary to hide and seek and other activities to engage with his viewers. Following the first hour of his stream, PewDiePie managed to increase the gap between T-Series by around 4,000 subs, reaching a gap of 22,000 subscribers – despite supposedly being on holiday. Read More: ‘Frozen 2’ trailer sparks Walt Disney rumors following Shane Dawson’s ‘Conspiracy Series’ – This wouldn’t be the first time PewDiePie has broken down to play a popular game in an effort to defeat his Bollywood menace, either. The YouTuber streamed popular battle royale title Fortnite and children’s title Roblox in quick succession, managing a major comeback against T-Series each time. In fact, PewDiePie managed to beat out the entirety of Fortnite’s viewership across Twitch due to his broadcast, unintentionally becoming one of the game’s most popular streamers thus far. PewDiePie’s streams have likewise garnered some negative attention, with his Roblox stream ultimately resulting in a ban against the YouTuber. Roblox later admitted that their ban was a mistake, claiming that they had merely intended to ban the word “Pewdie” across their platform due to an alleged “negative” meme that spread throughout their community in late December of 2018. Despite initially refusing to play such games as Fortnite and Roblox, PewDiePie’s livestreams have seen major involvement across the net – as well as helping bolster his sub count in the fight against T-Series.

PewDiePie ‘fans’ take T-Series YouTube competition too far, vandalize WWII memorial – Dexerto
PewDiePie ‘fans’ take T-Series YouTube competition too far, vandalize WWII memorial PewDiePie / Reddit‘Fans’ of the YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg have taken things too far in their bid to keep him ahead of T-Series on YouTube as an image has surfaced of a vandalized WWII memorial in Brooklyn. As the battle between T-Series and PewDiePie for YouTube’s most subscribed channel continues, fans have started to go to extreme measures in an attempt to keep the Swedish star ahead – but one individual appears to have crossed a line. In this instance, an image has surfaced on the Brooklyn subreddit that shows the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park with writing scrawled on it. Some local residents believe that so-called ‘fans’ of the YouTuber have etched the slogan of the T-Series battle, ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’, into the memorial with some kind of rock in a bid to keep the Swede on top. Others claim that it has been written in chalk. Many Redditors on the thread came to PewDiePie’s defense, making it clear that he would not support this particular act, with one stating: “Whilst he fully endorses people promoting his channel (who wouldn’t) he does not support illegal or unethical actions such as these nor can he be held responsible or accountable for the actions of an idiotic minority.” PewDiePie still holds on to the lead over the Indian record label ‘T-Series’ while maintaining a staggering 88+ million subscribers. However, the difference between the two has once again dwindled as less than 15,000 subs separate the two channels. PewDiePie has not commented on this event, but it’s safe to say he will not appreciate any of his fans taking such drastic and disrespectful actions to promote his channel.

PewDiePie fans think they’ve discovered his baby’s gender Instagram: itsmarziapieYouTube star PewDiePie and his wife Marzia hinted at their baby’s gender in a few social media posts — and fans think they’ve discovered what it is. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and wife Marzia announced they were expecting a baby back in February, following their marriage in 2019 and their move to Japan shortly thereafter. The couple, who have risen to prominence as one of the internet’s most famous married pairs, have been sporadically posting to social media during the pregnancy — but they dropped a major nugget of information that’s sent fans scrambling. On May 5, PewDiePie uploaded one of his beloved vlogs to YouTube titled, “Think it’s time we did a gender reveal.” Although he never directly mentioned the gender of he and Marzia’s bun in the oven, he did give fans a major hint during a visit to Tokyo Tower at the end of the video. Fans think PewDiePie and Marzia are having a baby boy They included several shots of Koinbori in their vlog, which are streamers shaped like koi fish that are often hung up in celebration of Children’s Day, a holiday celebrating the nation’s kiddos. However, the origin of the holiday stems back to ancient times and was initially called Tango no sekku, a holiday specifically for male children. (Topic begins at 18:15) Marzia also included a few shots of the fish streamers in an Instagram post published on the same day. Although neither party outright said the gender of their baby, they did mention that there were specific clues hidden in their posts. Fans have deduced that their inclusion of the Children’s Day decorations could mean that PewDiePie and Marzia are most likely having a baby boy. This has sparked a slew of speculation and celebration among fans, who have congratulated the couple on their upcoming bundle of joy. PewDiePie also dropped some other, more serious news during his May 5 vlog. According to the YouTube star, Marzia is at possible risk of going into premature labor, and has been instructed to rest and take it easy for the foreseeable future. Luckily, he claimed that Marzia is in good health, and her medical screenings have all been positive after receiving the news. This latest update for the couple follows PewDiePie’s recent collaboration with MrBeast, which the latter claims will be one of his “biggest projects yet.”

PewDiePie fans fly plane over New York City despite calls to end “subscribe to PewDiePie” movement – Dexerto
PewDiePie fans fly plane over New York City despite calls to end “subscribe to PewDiePie” movement L: Unsplash. R: PewDiePie/YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg may have called time on the ‘Sub To Pewdiepie’ campaign, however, that hasn’t stopped some fans following through with their major plans. For the better part of a year, PewDiePie had been locked into a battle for YouTube supremacy with Bollywood music label T-Series – keeping his rivals at bay for as long as humanly possible thanks to overwhelming fan support. The Swede’s viewers had pulled out every trick in the book, including holding their own parade, hacking into games like Grand Theft Auto, and getting professional sports teams involved with their own displays and performances. Fans pay for Subscribe to PewDiePie plane However, one group of fans dove deep into their own pockets to follow through on an idea to thank Pewds by having a plane display the “Subscribe to PewDiePie” message. Users of the PewDiePieSubmissions subreddit, which the YouTuber regularly checks-in on in his videos, had been aiming to raise $3,000 so that they could fly a plane around Manhattan, New York with a thank you PewDiePie banner attached. That initial goal was smashed, as fans raised over $4,000 and were able to organize the flying of a “Subscribe to PewDiePie” banner on April 29 – the ninth anniversary of his channel. THERE IT IS! Source:https://t.co/trM3XPw3Zr pic.twitter.com/oofZDkCK5W — #THANKYOUPEWDIEPIE (@subgap) April 29, 2019 The end of Subscribe to PewDiePie While the “Subscribe to PewDiePie” tagline initially started out life as a joke, in a bid to combat T-Series, quickly became a meme that could be regularly spotted around anything closely linked to PewDiePie. However, on April 28, the Swede called for his fans to stop using the message as it had become more just a meme – with some using it to vandalize the Brooklyn War Memorial, sparking outrage from local residents. Considering it was in the works before Pewds shut down the campaign, it remains to be seen if this plane banner is the final “Subscribe to PewDiePie” display from fans, or if others have similar ideas of their own.

PewDiePie fans are raising money for biggest YouTube channel promotion so far – Dexerto
PewDiePie fans are raising money for biggest YouTube channel promotion so far Fans of YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg have come up with a brand new way to keep the Swedish star at the top of the platform – by renting a plane and flying it over New York City. PewDiePie is riding high at the top of YouTube once again, following a brief period where Indian production company T-Series leapfrogged them to top the most subscribed channel on the site. The battle between the two has continued following the Swede’s diss track titled Congratulations, but now a group of PewDiePie fans have come up with a new way to keep their favorite content creator at the top of the list. What do PewDiePie’s fans want to do? On the /r/PewDiePieSubmissions subreddit, which the YouTuber uses for his shows such as LWIAY or laughing challenges, a group of his fans came up with a massive idea that they believe would help Kjellberg stay ahead of his Bollywood nemesis. In the post, created by user Nya-ni, they suggest the idea of starting a GoFundMe page, in the hopes of raising $3,000 which they could use to hire a plane that would fly across the New York City skyline with a banner attached to the back. Why do PewDiePie fans want to hire the plane? PewDiePie’s fans believe that hiring the plane will help draw attention to the Swede’s fight against T-Series, and may help to propel the YouTube star to the 100 million subscriber mark, making it the latest in a long line of milestones he has beaten the Indian company to. The group currently plans to fly the plane across the Hudson River in New York City on April 29, which marks the ninth anniversary of his channel. The creators of the GoFundMe say that the banner will “celebrate the nine years of happiness and fun PewDiePie has brought” to fans of the challenge. Read More: Top 20 most subscribed YouTube channels – The banner itself will cost $2,195, with one hour of flying time taking the total price to $2,570, with GoFundMe advising the group to round the fee up incase they are faced with taxes. The group state that if the the GoFundMe can raise more than the $3000, they will look to fly another plane across a different city such as Los Angeles, California or San Antonio, Texas. If they are unable to fund a second plane, they will use half the cash to create other advertisements for PewDiePie, and the rest will be donated to charitable institutions that Kjellberg has supported in the past.

PewDiePie’s fans have finally turned him into a Fortnite Emote – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s fans have finally turned him into a Fortnite Emote PewDiePie / YouTubeIt’s no secret that Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg isn’t the biggest fan of Epic Games’ Fortnite Battle Royale, but that hasn’t stopped him from embracing some of the better memes that have come from it. The Swedish star has made a point of speaking out against clickbait content coming from the Fortnite community in the past and pointedly refuses to play the game. However, fans of YouTube’s most subscribed content creator have finally found a way around his refusal to play by using some of his own green screen content to make him into a Fortnite emote! PewDiePie reviewed the footage of himself as a Fortnite character during the most recent installment of his ‘LWIAY’ video series and was quick to say “Oh no, I’m scared about the last one,” as the dances got progressively more entertaining. Arguably the highlight of the strange Pewds-Fortnite crossover came when the 28-year-old was attempting the game’s most famous dance – the Floss. “Will someone please kill me? I don’t want to be here, I want nothing to do with this,” the green screen version of PewDiePie says before asking the player to “end my life.” After the prompt to “end his life now” pops up, PewDiePie is deleted before reappearing and… well, screaming. Go figure! “Can we add PewDiePie to Fortnite? 500 million likes and we can make it happen. I set modest goals on this channel,” the entertainer says after the clip ends. Now all we need to do is hope that the video reaches that like goal…

PewDiePie fans announce ‘International PewDiePie Day’ for YouTube race vs T-Series Dedicated fans of Swedish YouTuber, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, are encouraging others to celebrate ‘International PewDiePie Day’ on April 29 – in a bid to reclaim the number one spot from T-Series. As the battle continues between Indian record label, T-Series and PewDiePie, fans are continuing to try new, unique ways to help PewDiePie reach 100 million subscribers first. In the latest bid to put PewDiePie back in front, fans have come up with the idea of devoting an entire day to the Swedish YouTuber. After images were created by JohnysBeauty on Reddit of PewDiePie’s partner Marzia wearing Captain Marvel’s suit which was titled as Captain Marzia, a similar one of PewDiePie followed long with the announcement of international PewDiePie day. 500The post was shared to PewDiePie’s SubReddit which contained a poster image of PewDiePie photoshopped in Captain America’s suit with the slogan “Last Stretch to the finish line”, along with some information on the event. The ultimate goal of this event on April 29 is to celebrate the 9th anniversary of PewDiePie’s YouTube channel, as well as helping him climb to 100 million subscribers on the platform before T-Series Although it is not entirely clear what else the day would entail, these fans have began recruiting teams within the Reddit thread and now have over 20 users committed to organizing the event. Fans on the thread are beginning to be split into teams of Marketing, Arts and creativity, and even Human resources in order to share the event and have also made social media accounts for the day to begin to promote the day with just under a month to go. Many are wondering just how much traction ‘International PewDiePie Day’ will end up getting as the month goes on and if this is something we will see for years to come.

PewDiePie fans hack Wall Street Journal in the midst of battle with T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie fans hack Wall Street Journal in the midst of battle with T-Series In yet another surprising development during the YouTube race between Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and T-Series, hackers have struck again to pledge their support for the Swedish YouTuber. PewDiePie is no stranger to receiving some help from outside sources in the battle between him and T-Series, but the help he’s gotten from hackers continues to be the most extensive of all. After two instances of hackers tapping into printers worldwide and one Grand Theft Auto Online hacking, it seems the hackers have set their sites even higher this time in going after The Wall Street Journal. On December 17, hackers tapped into the WSJ website to post a fake apology letter in support of PewDiePie in the race to 80 million subscribers on YouTube. “WallStreet Journal Public Apology to PewDiePie.” is the title of the post that is filled with plenty of spelling errors all throughout. “WallStreet Journal would like to apologize to pewdiepie. Due to misrepresentation by our journalists, those of whom have now been fired, we are sponsoring pewdiepie to reach maximum subscribers and beat Tseries to 80million.” While the page was quickly taken down, the online archives of the page are stillreadily available. The person responsible for the post claims to have obtained the login credentials for the Journal’s content management system, saying “their password was their username.” For his part, PewDiePie seemed to love the whole situation, first Tweeting about the hack and then saying that “WSJ is still on angery [sic] list.” Given the lengths at which PewDiePie fans have gone to support the YouTuber, there’s no telling where things might lead to next. At the time of writing, PewDiePie is holding a 1.4 million subscriber lead over T-Series with over 77 million subscribers and is on track to be the first YouTuber to hit 80 million in the near future.

PewDiePie faces backlash from VTuber community after revealing his avatar – Dexerto
PewDiePie faces backlash from VTuber community after revealing his avatar YouTube: PewDiePieThe most popular individual YouTube creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has jumped on the VTuber trend, replacing his real self with a digital avatar on screen. Although his fans mostly welcomed the change, it has sparked controversy with the VTuber ‘subculture’ at large. What is VTubing? Simply replace the ‘You’ in YouTube with ‘Virtual’ and you have VTube — virtual versions of real people. It’s a trend that grew enormously in popularity in 2020, both on YouTube on Twitch livestreaming, with big names like Pokimane creating their own avatars. For the more dedicated, creators’ entire online presence is through a virtual avatar, with fans rarely, if ever, seeing the person behind it all. Returning to YouTube in January 2021 after a long break, PewDiePie announced that he would be dropping his facecam in favor of an avatar. PewDiePie’s VTubing sparks controversy Perhaps unexpected by PewDiePie, his decision has drawn ire from the VTube community. Some argue that PewDiePie starting VTubing will be negative for smaller VTuber creators, claiming that his audience is “edgy” and could be hateful towards others. The overriding message on social media, as PewDiePie began trending on Twitter, was that his fanbase would be toxic, and not understand the nuances of VTuber culture. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1353879968019746816 However, others argued that this was unfair, and that there was little harm to come from PewDiePie’s VTuber attempts. Not looking to dwarfsplain here. Just i would advise considering that one of the largest content creators out there engaging in our subculture will bring more eyes and attention to it. I hope this yields a net-positive. I hope no one has to endure harassment from this. — Horatius The Dwarf (@HoratiusDwarf) January 25, 2021 A Twitter account called ‘VTuber fan cringe’ (make of that what you will) called the backlash against PewDiePie “collective derangement.” https://twitter.com/VTuberCringe/status/1353821262964023296 VTuberUprising trends In an effort to quell the debate, Twitter account ‘VTuber Positivity’ started a hashtag to spread a more positive message. “Please don’t use #VTuberUprising to incite hate against anyone or use it to call out Pewdiepie,” their message read. “What we did was big as it brings eyes towards our community, we are celebrating the new eyes towards us, not pewds.” IMPORTANT! Please don’t use #VTuberUprising to incite hate against anyone or use it to call out Pewdiepie. What we did was big as it brings eyes towards out community, we are celebrating the new eyes towards us, not pewds. We are also celebrating Terry Crews acknowledging us.— V-Tuber Positivity (@PositivityTuber) January 25, 2021 The hashtag ‘VTuberUprising‘ quickly began to spread across Twitter, and the platform described the trend as “Virtual streamers, also known as VTubers, have planned an online ‘uprising’ celebrating their community.” Fans shared their favorite VTuber art and memes, and the positivity was mostly successful at overriding the controversy about PewDiePie’s latest video. Whether Kjellberg plans to continue to use his avatar for all future videos or not remains to be seen. He may already have other plans for his next video.

PewDiePie makes a comeback after falling way behind T-Series in YouTube sub race – Dexerto
PewDiePie makes a comeback after falling way behind T-Series in YouTube sub race Indian production company T-Series finally surpassed PewDiePie‘s YouTube channel in total subscribers, taking a commanding lead of over 30,000 subscribers – but miraculously the Swede came back. Since October 2018, much of the YouTube community, and the internet at large, has been engrossed in the battle for YouTube supremacy, as independent creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg went up against the symbol of corporate takeover on the platform, T-Series. It was pitted as a David vs Goliath fight, with PewDiePie being a one-man band, producing a single video a day, vs T-Series, a large company capable of publishing multiple, professional quality videos a day. Despite his disadvantage, PewDiePie gave T-Series a run for their money. He outperformed them for over four months and kept his number one spot intact – thanks to a large community of fellow YouTubers supporting him. Throughout early March 2019, though, every day T-Series’ growth became more rapid. The valiant efforts of PewDiePie and his community seems to finally be too little, too late. As of March 21, T-Series was more than 30,000 subscribers ahead – the biggest margin yet. This was a result of their latest viral video, a trailer for new movie ‘PM Narendra Mori’, which accumulated over five million views in less than 16 hours. PewDiePie vs T-Series – Live subscriber count. Although it seemed that all hope was lost for PewDiePie, the Swede managed to make a late surge, and closed the gap within hours. With T-Series now involving themselves in the race publicly, even using national pride to incentivize Indian’s to subscribe to their channel, it seemed like the challenge would be too much. Many consider the race to 100 million the next milestone, so if Pewds can keep pace until then, a late surge might see him secure at least that victory. If not, then 90 million may be the last major milestone he can claim to have hit first.

PewDiePie faces off against himself in epic Minecraft battle – Dexerto
PewDiePie faces off against himself in epic Minecraft battle YouTube: PewDiePieFresh off of slaying the Wither on August 7, YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg faced off with the next formidable foe in his Minecraft series – himself. Fans wondered which quest or boss PewDiePie would tackle next after his journey to summon and destroy the Wither concluded in an epic fashion during his August 7 episode. The Swedish YouTuber revealed the next boss he would take on his Minecraft series on August 9, and it was none other than himself. PewDiePie summoned himself During the episode, Pewds surprised viewers when he revealed that he was going to be facing himself as a boss. “I don’t know if this works. But someone made it,” he said before putting down a diamond block and using a special nether star. “It should make a PewDiePie boss.” Sure enough, a character sprite resembling the Swedish YouTuber wearing his iconic headphones appeared. “Oh it worked! Oh my god it’s PewDiePie!” he screamed with excitement. Using his enchanted arrows he shot the boss, when hilariously the foe played back audio clips of his voice saying “it’s not funny, okay?!” before pressing on towards him. “How is this even possible!?” the Swede asked in bewilderment. What seemed like an easy battle at first quickly turned into a difficult fight. “Oh shit!” the boss yelled after being hit with his arrows, before screaming and knocking PewDiePie into the air. The enemy then transformed into the YouTuber sitting in his iconic gaming chair, and floated to the sky, with five ‘Bro Fists’ floating around him. It then turned the Swede’s horse Jorgen against him, and it horse began to attack him. “No I don’t want to hurt you Jorgen, don’t hurt me!” Pewds screamed, before tragically having no choice but to kiss his friend. “NO!” he screamed. PewDiePie had to fight ‘Sven’ As if the boss fight wasn’t twisted enough, it then summoned Pewds’ trusty sidekick dog ‘Sven’, which forced the YouTube star to agonizingly have to attack his pet. “No! Back off! I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to hurt you. You’re the only one I haven’t killed!” The formidable foe finally summoned the last enemy and it was none other than a ‘water sheep’, which the YouTuber infamously hates due to the annoying noises they make. Pewds then landed the final blow, and the battle ended. “Haha, oh my god! 10/10” he stated, despite the battle being semi-traumatic. The boss dropped the gaming chair as a mount and headphones as a helmet. The best part is that wearing the headphones plays the beat to his famous ‘Bitch Lasagna’ song. PewDiePie’s Minecraft series has proven to be extremely popular with fans of both the YouTube star and the game, and it doesn’t seem like he’ll be stopping any time soon.

PewDiePie faces off against T-Series in epic, fan-made video game – Dexerto
PewDiePie faces off against T-Series in epic, fan-made video game PewDiePie, Thomas Brush – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s race against Bollywood label T-Series has taken over the internet – and now, their battle can even be duked out in a video game. PewDiePie challenged game developer Thomas Brush to create a game in 14 days, after being dared to do so during an episode of ‘LWIAY’ in early February. Brush held up his end of the bargain and managed to create an entire game in the span of two weeks, which humorously details PewDiePie’s struggles against T-Series, YouTube demonetization, and more. The game features voice acting from Kjellberg himself, and even references notable moments in PewDiePie’s recent battle against T-Series, such as Ben Shapiro’s appearance on Meme Review and MrBeast’s Super Bowl ad campaign. The game, appropriately titled ‘Zero Deaths,’ tasks PewDiePie with collecting ‘Monetization Coins’ and defeating T-Series’ ‘sub bots’ in an effort to put the YouTuber back on top. PewDiePie went on to play ‘Zero Deaths’ in a joint video with Brush, where he expressed gratitude that he’d gone through with the challenge and was impressed with the game’s overall polish. The race between T-Series and PewDiePie has since come to a startling head, with the label surpassing PewDiePie three times in short bursts. However, thanks to PewDiePie’s dedicated fanbase, the YouTuber has managed to pull past his Bollywood nemesis thus far – despite original projections that T-Series would beat him out in early 2019.

PewDiePie gets extremely lucky in Minecraft in quest to kill epic boss – Dexerto
PewDiePie gets extremely lucky in Minecraft in quest to kill epic boss YouTube: Pewdiepie / MojangIn his August 3 Minecraft video, YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg was gearing up to take on an epic mob boss when he got extremely lucky with his item drops. PewDiePie’s recent Minecraft videos have been blowing up on YouTube, as almost every single video in the series has gone on the trending page on the platform. On August 1, The YouTube star assembled an army of 96 million pigs to help him take on a notorious boss called ‘Wither’. But in order to summon the enemy, he needed to collect several extremely rare items – which he managed to do during his August 3 video. What is a Wither? A Wither is a floating undead boss mob that attacks players with skulls that explode. He is the only hostile boss that can be created by players in the game currently. Making the enemy, requires 4 blocks of soul sand that have to be arranged in a T shape, as well as three ‘Wither Skulls’ that are placed side by side on the top three blocks. However, obtaining Wither Skulls is pretty hard as they are a rare drop. 600Wither Skulls can be found in the Nether after killing a Wither Skeleton. However the drop rate for them is as low as 2.5%, but can go up to 5.5% depending on buffs. The low drop-rates can make it extremely difficult to create the enemy. In his August 2 video, PewDiePie managed to get the first skull from his first skeleton spawn. “Whoa! Whoa, I’m so lucky dude. Already!” he shouted with glee. As if he wasn’t already lucky enough, a skeleton dropped another rare item immediately after the first one. “Oh my god. Dude. Looting three, baby!” the YouTuber beamed with excitement. 600PewDiePie then gets three more Wither Skulls PewDiePie then ended up getting the third skull after being rushed by two Wither Skeletons at once in a frantic battle. “AHHHHH!” he screamed as he hacked away at the enemies until they died, leaving behind the item. “YESSSS!” Read More: Ninja goes undercover at Lollapalooza – Then to top it all off, the Swedish YouTuber even ended up getting a fourth one. “Oh. PewDiePie’s FaceApp results are just as terrifying as you’d think – Dexerto
PewDiePie’s FaceApp results are just as terrifying as you’d think PewDiePie, YouTubePopular mobile application “Face App” has been making the rounds across social media, with netizens using the program to change their appearance in a myriad of ways – and even major internet stars have hopped on the trend, with YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg uploading his results with the app in a hilarious video on July 21. “Face App” allows users to see what they would look like if they were younger, older, male, female, and a plethora of other such traits, prompting humorous posts across the net from those willing to share their facial transformations. PewDiePie decided to take the plunge and toyed with his own appearance – and his reaction to the changes were nothing short of hilarious. Face App allows users to toy with their appearance in a plethora of ways.https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/science-technology/1154480/FaceApp-old-filters-viral-Android-iOS-download-warning PewDiePie burst out into laughter after setting the filter to “old,” noting that his family doesn’t usually get gray hairs, but deciding that the older version of himself isn’t a future he’s hoping to visit anytime soon. “Luckily, I’ll get to keep my blonde hair, but my god, it doesn’t look good, does it?” he said of the change, going on to add makeup on top of the older filter. Kjellberg even created a younger version of himself, humorously claiming that he looked like popular makeup mogul James Charles – but he wasn’t finished, just yet. He went on to put an older filter over his fiance, Marzia Bisognin, and was pleasantly surprised at the results, claiming that she looked “ a lot better” than he did when aged-up. PewDiePie couldn’t resist the urge to transform his fiance – and was pleasantly surprised by the results. PewDiePie isn’t the only popular YouTuber to have used the Face App, by far: in fact, popular content creator Lilly Singh likewise uploaded her reactions to the program in a video on July 19, unsurprisingly shocked at her results. Even the minds behind esports giant FaZe Clan uploaded their older selves to Instagram, showing the likes of Ricky Banks, FaZe Rain, and others as aging content creating pros. Despite the buzz around the popular program, Face App is being met with widespread distrust, after researchers discovered that the app’s headquarters are based in St. Petersburg, Russia. Although many have labeled the app as a major invasion of privacy, it continues to skyrocket in popularity in spite of the scandal, with more and more internet stars sharing their own Face App transformations online.

PewDiePie explains why his YouTube channel is shockingly similar to Attack on Titan – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why his YouTube channel is shockingly similar to Attack on Titan The king of YouTube Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg thinks he made a fitting comparison when asked to describe his channel with similar acclaim by answering with Attack on Titan. The popular Wit Studio anime has garnered high praise from fans as well as critics, but something about how its audience hypes up the show makes PewDiePie think there are more similarities in between the lines. PewDiePie joined Joey ‘The Anime Man’ Byzinger for a special “Weeb Review” where they answered a host of questions straight from the fans, which gave some revealing insights about their respective tastes in the genre. Attack on PewDiePie During the Q&A, Byzinger brought up an interesting question when he asked PewDiePie: “If you could only describe your YouTube channel using a mediocre anime, which would it be?” This prompted PewDiePie to give a quick but dreary response as he compared his channel with one of the more love/hate animes in recent times. “Attack on Titan,” PewDiePie said in response before continuing. “Well it’s kinda like over-hyped a bit, and so am I.” PewDiePie then made a cheeky plug for people to subscribe to him after giving his less-than-enthusiastic comparison. [Timestamp at 1:37 for mobile viewers] PewDiePie in Japanese The show hosts were then asked how well they could uphold a conversation in Japanese, which really put PewDiePie’s mastery of the language to the test. The Swede took the initiative by starting out the exchange with a simple “konnichiwa” (hi), which Byzinger returned in kind before turning up the heat. After a few blunders, it was clear that the Pewds needs a little bit more time shaping up his Japanese to keep up with Byzinger. Anime Man in Swedish A fan had a question that returned the favor onto the popular anime YouTuber when they asked him how much of the Swedish language he knew. “Weirdly enough,” Byzinger said. “The only Swedish I learned was from your old videos which is ‘jävla’… and what was the other one which was something like ‘helvete.’” A lot of long-time PewDiePie fans would be able to easily relate to Byzinger’s anecdote, seeing how the Pewd’s would routinely spew out Swedish obscenities when startled by the many horror games he played. The questionnaire revealed plenty more between the Anime Man and the Pewds, but some fans might find it hard to let that Attack on Titan comment go by so easily.

PewDiePie exposes his “infuriating” method of eating pizza – Dexerto
PewDiePie exposes his “infuriating” method of eating pizza Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg stands as YouTube’s most-subscribed independent creator, boasting over 101 million subscribers on the site – but fame isn’t stopping the internet celeb’s unusual habits. Those who frequent the internet may be familiar with such subreddits as “r/mildlyinteresting” and “r/mildlyinfuriating,” the latter of which PewDiePie browsed during a video on October 17. However, when searching the site, an image of a pizza showed up in the search results – but this wasn’t any ordinary pizza. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/B05aV8-AnB7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkWhile there are many methods of eating pizza, the “mildly infuriating” subreddit delivered an image of a person eating a pie by starting in the very middle, rather than consuming it slice by slice. Although any normal person would find this action abhorrent, PewDiePie admitted that he eats his pizzas the same way, explaining that he hates pizza crusts. “I have a confession to make,” Kjellberg began. “First of all, when I looked up this subreddit, this image shows up. …I’ve eaten pizza this way for over twenty years. …I don’t like the crust. And when you’re done eating it, you have a frame, and you can put your face in it.” PewDiePie went on to joke about the “stigma” surrounding his eating habits, but he’s not alone – in fact, another major internet personality also eats their pizzas in an odd way. (Timestamp: 0:14 for mobile viewers) Popular Twitch streamer “Pokimane” likewise turned heads after admitting that she eats her pizza upside down, explaining that it’s better to taste the pizza toppings rather than the crust on top of her tongue. “Let’s say this is a pizza,” she began, holding out her hand. “All the toppings are here. The yummy part is here. Why would you put the yummy part on the roof of your mouth? You gotta flip the pizza, put the yummy part on your tongue so you can taste it.” (Timestamp: 3:45 for mobile viewers) No matter your favorite way of eating pizza, its safe to say that these streamers have creative ways of chowing down – but these come nowhere near streamer “Amouranth’s” bizarre eating habits, who claimed that she can’t actually chew her food due to the retainer in the back of her mouth. No matter your popularity status, everyone has something weird about them – but internet stars are more likely to get caught in the act, thanks to spending a large part of their lives in front of the camera.

PewDiePie explains why Sonic’s new movie design is “incredible” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Sonic’s new movie design is “incredible” The blue blur is back and better than ever; After overwhelming complaints, Sonic’s design for his upcoming film has finally been released, and fans are ecstatic about the changes – including YouTube king PewDiePie. Rather than the horrific monstrosity that was his initial design, Sonic now boasts a look more faithful to his classic concept, with wide eyes and an overall more cartoony composition that was revealed on November 12. The net at large was generally satisfied with this transformation (although some – including creator Yuji Naka – hope that the movie’s initial design will be available on a “special DVD version” of the film). Even YouTube star Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has weighed in on the dramatic change, claiming that he’s thrilled with the “incredible” results. “Legit, I was actually impressed when I saw the trailer,” the YouTuber admitted. “I’m like, ‘Woah, actually, Sonic looks really good now.’ I mean, you look at it frame by frame… look what a difference! All the expressions and everything. I don’t even care about this film, but I’m just impressed.” The Swede went on to clown the movie’s original model, claiming that he “couldn’t believe” the team had originally decided on the design – although he made sure to congratulate the animators for “fixing” the iconic hedgehog after the backlash. “I gotta give credit,” he continued. “They really fixed it up, dude. …I’m very happy for the people that [wanted] redemption. This is what redemption looks like!” Although the Sonic fanbase continues to hold mixed reactions to the update, much of the net is impressed and pleased by the change – but even creator Yuji Naka has his issues with the new model, claiming that he “feels weird” about the hedgehog’s eyes not being conjoined together. https://t.co/C8EwuiJg2m — Yuji Naka / 中 裕司 (@nakayuji) November 12, 2019 The Sonic film was originally set for release on November 8, 2019, but was delayed to February 14 following the mass outrage surrounding the character’s model. Now, Sonic’s new look has finally been revealed: and whether fans are impressed or not, a significantly more palatable version of the blue blur is coming to theaters on Valentine’s day.

PewDiePie explains why Twitch leak isn’t actually a big deal – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Twitch leak isn’t actually a big deal Twitch/PewDiePieYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg shared his opinion about the recent Twitch leak, claiming that it isn’t actually that big of a deal. On October 6, Twitch was hacked, leaking everything from subscription coding, source code, and streamers’ incomes for all the world to see. While many streamers have given their opinion on the situation, including Dr. Disrespect (who was famously kicked off of Twitch), PewDiePie has chimed in to give his two cents on the matter. PewDiePie on Twitch leaks PewDiePie was streaming on YouTube when he was asked about his opinion on the Twitch leaks, which revealed the income of all the platform’s top earners. “Have I heard of the Twitch leak?” he responded. “I have, actually. Is it unethical to talk about the Twitch leak? I’m trying to think what I would feel like if other people talked about how much I was making. People do all the time, it doesn’t really change anything.” Although PewDiePie did pause to wonder if it was ethical to talk about the numbers from the leak, he said that he doesn’t think it is that big of a deal if people know how much you make. Having been in the spotlight for many years now, he’s become used to the public knowing and talking about how much money he makes. The stars of the leak, streamers Hasan and xQc, have mocked the leaks and the backlash that’s come from it, saying that the numbers were already public information and that nothing new has come from the data breach.

PewDiePie explains why popular life hacks are actually “garbage” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why popular life hacks are actually “garbage” Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is more than a gamer — the YouTube king is also known for his humorous commentary videos, one of which discussed the ever-popular “five minute craft” videos of viral internet fame. Internet regulars have likely heard of “life hacks:” crafts or shortcuts that make everyday chores and tasks much easier, such as making ice cubes out of your favorite beverage of choice, rather than water. However, PewDiePie isn’t a big fan of many so-called “life hacks,” which he showcased during a January 1 video — most of which were completely unnecessary and altogether confusing. Amidst more humorous “hacks” like creating your own “roomba” vacuum out of a few small motors and a hand brush were extremely confusing crafts, such as taping one’s feet to bar stools to reach high places and making a floatie vest made out of bottles and a T-Shirt. While some hacks might actually be useful, Kjellberg isn’t convinced that most of these shortcuts are legitimate, arguing that many “lifehack” channels reel audiences in with one or two useful tricks but ultimately boast an array of “garbage” content. “99% [of life hacks] are garbage,” PewDiePie explained. “That’s how it is, isn’t it? They reel you in with one concept that works, and you’re like, ‘Holy sh***, I never thought of that! That’s actually helpful!’ And they you try and find more things, because obviously they have to know more things because they know one thing, and it’s 99% microwave mailbox.” The YouTuber also pointed out the ridiculousness of many lifehack video thumbnails, one of which showcased a Coke bottle with a door hatch for storing… eggs? “It’s also the thumbnails!” he continued, laughing. “What is that? I guess I have to click on that, because what is that?” Although there are definitely some mind-blowing life hacks out there (like strapping a rubber band around a paintcan to remove excess paint from a paintbrush), PewDiePie certainly has a point that many “life-changing” shortcuts are ultimately just eyebrow-raising.

PewDiePie explains why Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes speech “doesn’t hold up” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes speech “doesn’t hold up” YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg reacted to actor and comedian Ricky Gervais’ scathing speech at the 77th Golden Globe Awards — and while he “liked” it, expressed a few issues with Gervais’ comments. Gervais’ Golden Globes address quickly went viral across social media, with many users buzzing about his statements toward major CEOs and actors for “knowing nothing about the real world.” Amid his biting remarks, the comedian also touched on Apple’s “Morning Show,” taking shots at the company for running “sweatshops in China” — a comment that PewDiePie felt called to touch on during a January 8 episode of “You Laugh, You Lose.” He began by clarifying that he did, indeed, like Gervais’ monologue, but criticized him for reappearing as the show’s host five times, despite his supposed “boot” from the role for his comments, and accused him of repeating “the exact same shtick” every year. Kjellberg then related Gervais’ “sweatshop” segment to his own clothing brand, “Tsuki,” which he created in collaboration with wife Marzia Bisognin in March 2018. https://www.instagram.com/p/BfzCHz3lFgi/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “Are you telling me, seriously, that you’ve never bought any product that has been produced in China?” the YouTuber questioned. “This is coming from someone… me and Marzia have our brand ‘Tsuki,’ where we produce ethically in Canada, because we want to avoid sweatshops.” While the YouTuber went on to clarify that there are plenty of legitimate manufacturers in China, he also argued that most consumers “don’t care” about the source of their products, rendering his argument null in the face of many buyers. (Topic starts at 8:30 for mobile viewers) “Even though I do agree, it’s f**king obnoxious hearing this Hollywood elite preach about a bunch of s**t, because it is tone-deaf,” he continued. “I agree. But at the same time, I don’t really think his argument holds up. …everyone who thought he was epic when he said that better not be holding an iPhone.” Although PewDiePie was ultimately a fan of Gervais’ viral Golden Globes speech, he does have a point in regards to ethical creation of products — just one of many scalding jabs brought out by the comedian in front of Hollywood’s biggest names.

PewDiePie explains why online cancel culture is “ridiculous” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why online cancel culture is “ridiculous” YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]During his July 2 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg weighed in on the ‘cancel culture’ debate. The Swedish star explained how canceling someone can sometimes be “ridiculous” and dangerous. For many, PewDiePie has been the face of online entertainment over the last decade. The Swedish personality has over 105 million subscribers on YouTube, and is one of the most watched channels on the platform. While most know him for his gaming and reaction content, the star sometimes tackles current events. During his latest video, he opened up about his views on cancel culture, and explained how it can be problematic. PewDiePie on the nature of cancel culture For his latest upload, the YouTuber reacted to a group having a debate about cancel culture. While watching the conversation, the Swedish personality gave his own take on personalities such as Jenna Marbles being canceled for older content she made years ago. “With Jenna, that was actually nine or ten years ago. To me, that changes things a lot, especially if I know that person has grown out of that. That doesn’t make it okay, what they did, but at the same time I don’t see a reason to drag them through the dirt because of it,” he said. The Swede brought up the James Charles drama from 2019 to demonstrate how canceling someone can become problematic. “Remember when James Charles was canceled, and the entire world was so sure that he was a predator? The amount of people that spread that message around, causing him to almost be suicidal. Did we learn anything from that? … This is just ridiculous.” He then followed that up by stating that nothing has changed since the makeup mogul had been attacked without evidence. “No one learned anything. If anything this is worse now. Did we learn that maybe we shouldn’t point fingers before we know the truth? No. Those days are over,” he said. Pewds also said that while he believed cancel culture started out with good intentions, no one is held accountable when they get it wrong. “That’s the problem. No one holds the people who are a part of the hate mob accountable. I think the James Charles thing is such a good example,” he continued, before revealing how being canceled himself has impacted him. “I have definitely become so much more aware of not just what I say, but how what I say can be perceived. Because it’s not just what you meant. It’s if you can take a portion of what you said, and it seems like something else. That’s enough. That’s how careful you have to be,” he said. (Topic starts at 3:33.) While the content creator was critical of cancel culture, he went out of his way to give a balanced take on the subject. The star said it was a good thing for us to be able “draw a line” at what is no longer acceptable today. Despite PewDiePie tackling the current issue, the 30-year old joked that he’s become “too old” to dive into YouTube drama, and has told his viewers that he has no plans to bring back his PewNews segment.

PewDiePie explains why Lady Dimitrescu isn’t the best thing about Resident Evil Village – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Lady Dimitrescu isn’t the best thing about Resident Evil Village YouTube: PewDiePie / CapcomPopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg gave his final review of Capcom’s Resident Evil Village during his May 12 livestream. While he loved Lady Dimitrescu, the Swedish star was surprised that she wasn’t the best thing about the game. After years of anticipation, Resident Evil Village finally made its debut in May 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Like many players, YouTuber PewDiePie threw himself into the horror title with high expectations. The entertainer gave his honest review of the sequel after beating it in front of thousands of viewers. The 31-year-old revealed what surprised him most about the game, and explained why its story is better than he thought it was going to be. PewDiePie reviews Resident Evil Village As the end credits began to roll, the YouTuber opened up to viewers about what he really thought about the long-awaited sequel after beating its story campaign. “I loved it. It’s a really fun game!” he exclaimed. Responding to a fan in chat, Kjellberg revealed that he was worried that Village wouldn’t be as good as the beloved tall vampire villain, Lady Dimitrescu, who is introduced at the start of the title. “I would say it actually picked up in the end even more. It started off so strong with Lady Dimitrescu that I didn’t think it would pick up, but it picked up a bit in the end.” Read More: Corpse Husband thirsts for Lady Dimitrescu – He then went on to explain how the game’s story left him surprised. “I’m pleasantly surprised to be honest. It thought it was great. Such unique characters, they were really fun, all of them. It had some scary moments, but they made the gameplay fun as well, so s**t, I dunno.” (Topic starts at 2:28:57) While Pewds was just as in love with Lady Dimitrescu as the rest of the internet, the content creator was surprised that he actually found the rest of the story as good if not better than the open castle section. As far as what he would give Resident Evil title score wise, the YouTuber gave it strong marks in his review. “I’m pretty pleased, I thought it was great. Would give it a strong 8 or 8.5. I’m actually excited for Resident Evil again after they deliver these great games,” he said. After giving his take on the Capcom title, PewDiePie revealed what horror game he wished would follow in Village’s footsteps: “I just wish Silent Hill would also come back.”

PewDiePie explains why new YouTube FTC regulations “make no sense” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why new YouTube FTC regulations “make no sense” YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellbergd has given his take on YouTube’s new controversial COPPA regulations in his latest video. PewDiePie is undoubtedly the most popular YouTuber in the world, gathering a mind-blowing 102 million subscribers during his time with the platform. Although he rose to fame thanks to his entertaining gaming videos, the Swede now produces a wide variety of content – including taking on controversial issues. One key problem that YouTubers currently face are the new COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) regulations, which creators are finding incredibly difficult to understand. These new regulations stem from a fine that the platform received in September 2019 for collecting children’s personal data. It affects every content creator, forcing them to inform the platform if their content is made for children. PewDiePie reviewed these regulations and found that not only do creators need to inform YouTube about their content, but the platform will also use machine learning to decide if videos are for children. This is something that shocked the Swede, with him sarcastically stating: “machine learning has worked so well before on Youtube”, taking a dig at automatic copyright claims and other controversial automated systems. Felix then found something even stranger, a video stating that according to these new rules, content creators can be sued for violating COPPA regulations. “What? Why? That makes no sense… control your children please” he said, clearly disappointed with the fact he can be punished for children viewing his content, and for his content being automatically flagged as child-friendly even if they aren’t. PewDiePie then used his own channel as an example to show just how severe the punishments can be. “I have 5000 videos on my channel, if 24 of them get deemed as targeted for kids, then I owe them $1 million…. epic.” The issue with this is not only are the punishments extremely severe, but YouTube has been pushing for content to be more family-friendly, and are now seemingly punishing content creators for it. Even PewDiePie himself stated that a lot of his content could be seen as child-friendly as he’s been following the platforms guidelines, and now he’s worried it may cost him. A lot of other content creators have spoken up about the matter, with many having similar views as the Swede. YouTube has not yet issued a response, but it seems there may be even more controversy regarding the platform.

PewDiePie explains why internet hate culture has “gone overboard” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why internet hate culture has “gone overboard” YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg reacted to a web comic celebrating his house being broken into, and explained how hate on the internet is not “normal behavior.” PewDiePie’s house in Japan was broken into in December, where “90%” of their valuables were stolen according to an Instagram Story by the Swede’s wife Marzia. However, after a webcomic celebrating the break-in caught the YouTuber’s attention, he went on to explain how hatred on the internet has “gone overboard” with this kind of behavior. PewDiePie reacts to disturbing webcomic During the January 4 edition of PewNews, the Swedish star revealed to his audience that he had been tipped off about a webcomic that celebrated his house being broken into. While he didn’t say who the artist was, the comic depicted a person telling their new co-worker “heh, that millionaire gamer-bro douchebag totally got robbed.” When the “new guy” at her store points out, “Hey, how’d you like it if you were robbed?,” the character is made fun of for asking the question. Reacting to the art, Pewds said, “This person tries to vilify new guy, but is so tone deaf, they don’t understand they make themselves look like an idiot. It’s so weird. It’s so un-self aware.” After the comic spread online, a meme centered around the “new guy” being a hero began trending on Twitter. “He has all the hallmarks of a good protagonist. If he were real, he’d make a good friend,” the YouTuber said as he read a tweet aloud. “I want to be friends with new guy! He seems great!” “I don’t know anything about this person who made this webcomic. But the point is, people that react this way about something unjust happening to someone, it’s not normal behavior to react this way,” he continued. “There is a clear distinction to me wishing actual harm on someone, or something illegal to happen.” The Minecraft star then exclaimed, “That’s the weird part and how that line is blurred because I’m a millionaire, when it’s not about the money, it’s the personal space. And it’s weird that no one understand that. It’s clearly gotten so overboard.” (Timestamp 08:37 for mobile users.) While the comic was in poor taste, the Swedish star didn’t wish any ill will towards the creator, and asked his audience to not seek them out, as it would solve nothing. PewDiePie explains why Joji retired Filthy Frank at “the perfect time” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Joji retired Filthy Frank at “the perfect time” YouTube: PewDiePie / TVFilthyFrank[jwplayer IX7jLp7f]During a July 14 broadcast, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg explained to viewers why popular singer George ‘Joji’ Miller had to end his YouTube alter ego Filthy Frank. The Swede revealed why he has “respect” for him over the decision. While many today know Joji for his chart-topping music, the artist originally got his start on YouTube making videos under his Filthy Frank moniker. The creator eventually retired the channel, and transitioned into a wildly successful singing career. During a July stream, PewDiePie opened up to his audience about the singer’s decision to retire the character, and explained why he ended the project at the “perfect time.” The entertainer also reflected on participating in his viral ‘Human Cake’ video back in 2016. PewDiePie on why Joji was right to retire Filthy Frank During his July broadcast, Pewds showed his viewers classic YouTube videos. While watching an upload from Filthy Frank in 2015, the creator gave his thoughts on why the singer had to retire the edgy character. “People s**t a lot on Joji for leaving this behind, but he wouldn’t be able to keep doing it. He wouldn’t be able to keep making this kind of content, there is just no way. I think he left at a perfect time. I like his music a lot. I really like some of his songs. It makes me respect him more, that he’s doing different things,” he said. Read More: Dr Disrespect breaks silence on Twitch ban – He then explained why fans would have gotten tired of the persona eventually anyway. “If he just did this shtick over and over, people wouldn’t like it either. You wouldn’t like it,” he continued. “The good thing about it is he can come back any day and be like “lul” … That would be so f**king funny. Come back and just drop a video again.” He also stated how hilarious he found it when people realized the famous singer used to make edgy videos on YouTube. “It’s so funny when the comments under his new songs are like “this is the guy that ate a hair cake!” … Just thinking about it is funny still.” The Swedish creator then reacted to his cameo in Filthy Frank’s 2016 ‘Human Cake’ upload. “Can you imagine this being uploaded today? So f**king crazy!” he said, before breaking into laughter as he watched himself shave his hair off for the skit. “That was so fun. Good memories. I was cracking up so much. I was trying to deliver this speech, but we couldn’t do it with a straight face.” During the rest of his live stream, PewDiePie called the popular videos “the golden era” of the platform, before reiterating that they couldn’t be made today. The star praised Miller’s transition into a successful music career. While Joji’s iconic YouTube character is one of the worst kept secrets on the internet, in May, K-Pop fans tried to “cancel him” on social media after discovering his alter ego Filthy Frank for the very first time.

PewDiePie explains why his opinion of TikTok has changed: “I like it” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why his opinion of TikTok has changed: “I like it” YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has notoriously not been a fan of popular mobile video platform TikTok — but now, he claims his opinion on the viral app is changing for the better. Ever since 2018, PewDiePie has been quite vocal about his distaste for TikTok, claiming that the platform initially confused him before thanking it for merging with Music.aly instead of YouTube. That’s not all; Kjellberg also claimed there was “no actual content left” on the app, stating “It’s just kids trolling each other. …at this point, no one is making actual TikTok videos.” A few years later, Kjellberg seems to have changed his mind about the site somewhat, according to a video he uploaded on April 20, 2021, where he said “at least it’s better than Twitter, right?” Although there were a few duds in his TikTok compilation, he admitted that the platform does have some neat videos after watching a clip of a surfer pulling off some moves beneath an ice-covered lake. “There are some cool TikToks,” the YouTuber admitted with a smile. “My mind is changing slowly. I’m opening up. I like it! …some TikToks are genuinely so funny.” That’s not all; the YouTube king also revealed that he’d gotten inspired to play a game on his channel due to a TikTok that recommended “Before Your Eyes” — an interactive experience that changes the environment every time a player blinks. “I’m officially not a TikTok hater,” PewDiePie joked. “Just because of this one TikTok that helped me find a cool game.” While TikTok might not be his favorite cup of tea, it’s hard to argue that the platform doesn’t have quite a few gems — which include everything from a songwriter who turns Facebook Market deals gone sour into hilarious tunes and even a cat owner who takes elaborate spa days with his pets. It seems that PewDiePie has turned a new leaf regarding the internet’s most popular short-form video app… although it doesn’t look like it’s trumping YouTube for him anytime soon.

PewDiePie explains why his Reddit forum changing isn’t such a bad thing – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why his Reddit forum changing isn’t such a bad thing Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has addressed the ever-changing state of his subreddit, after fans raised concerns the Reddit forum dedicated to discussing the YouTube king and sharing memes for him to review had “gone to sh*t.” Pewds’ subreddit has been a key part of his content for some time now, and he often delves into the halls of Reddit to find images and memes shared for his ‘Meme Review’ show, as well as his longstanding ‘Last Week I Asked You’ series. Over time, more and more fans have trickled into /r/PewdiepieSubmissions since Kjellberg founded it two years ago, and it now boasts more than 2.4 million fans. While some see the explosive growth of the subreddit as a reason to celebrate, others have revealed they’re less than fond of the growth, saying it has “gone to sh*t” and suggesting they “miss the good old days.” “This sub has turned to karma-whoring, reposts, and Pewds-unrelated posts,” yxng_elmo said in a post which received thousands of upvotes and more than a handful of Reddit-based merit awards dubbed ‘gold’ and ‘platinum.’ “Pewds has called people out on it, and it still hasn’t changed. This sub is now awful, it’s not /r/memes and /r/dankmemes. Go post your memes there. Can we go back to the good old days of awesome fan arts, not five minutes scribbles?” PewDiePie hit back at yxng_elmo’s thoughts in his latest video on December 30, suggesting things cannot always stay the same on internet forums, especially as they continue to grow beyond the scope of its early days. “I don’t think people want this [r/PewdiepieSubmissions] to just be fan arts, it’s nice to see everyone once in a while, but no one would use the subreddit if it was just fan art… that’s a weird metric of something being better,” the YouTuber replied. “I’m sure this person has ways to feel the way that they do, but I find in general, as someone who has run communities for a long time on the internet, after a certain while people just tend to complain and it doesn’t always seem completely funded. “In my old forum, back in the day, the same thing happened. It was a fun space, and then it grew bigger and bigger, and then people were like ‘this sucks now, before it was better because of fan art.’ People complaining doesn’t help it either. “People don’t know what to think. Whenever there’s a big group on the internet, they can’t think for themselves, so when people say that the forum has gone to sh*t it just spirals out of control and they just choose to believe it’s gone to sh*t.” According to the YouTube king, the subreddit was “the same as it as always been,” at least from his perspective, but suggested if there were ideas on how to improve the subreddit, he was “all ears” as long as the ideas were constructive. He also added he would “rather see more karma-whoring posts” rather than just posts about how bad the subreddit had gotten, though as he continued his trawl through the subreddit’s memes, he may have changed his mind. First, he hit a showing 420 notifications from Discord, and 69 on Reddit— “maybe he was right” he said with a laugh—before another Mr Beast image appeared. He soon added the subreddit may, in fact, have “veered off-course.” “He was right, I can’t unsee it!” he said, but admitted he didn’t mind so much if the subreddit changed face over the years. “I still have fun reviewing them all though.” For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 6:18 in the video below. Whether or not you like the way /r/PewdiepieSubmissions has developed since it was first founded in mid-2017, all Kjellberg fans can agree on one thing—the forum may take on a life of its own while Pewds takes time away from YouTube in 2020. The King of YouTube recently revealed he would be taking a hiatus from video creation “for the first time in 10 years,” due to feeling “tired” from the constant uploading and maintenance of his 102-million-subscriber channel. One thing is for sure though: when he does return he’ll have a host of new memes to review on his subreddit, if it survives the brewing civil war between his fans.

PewDiePie explains why he’s taking a break from YouTube YouTube’s largest content creator Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg announced that he is taking a break from the video platform in 2020, and explained why he’s come to that decision. PewDiePie is the most popular content creator on YouTube with over 102 million subscribers, making him one of the most influential entertainers in the world. However, the Swedish star surprised fans during the end of his December 14 upload when he announced that would be taking a break from creating content on the video platform. PewDiePie reveals he’s taking a break from YouTube The popular YouTuber made the revelation at the end of his Pew News segment, where he announced that he would be taking a break from creating content on the platform starting next year. “I think now is a great time as any to announce I have a special announcement to make. I am taking break from YouTube next year, because I made up my mind!” he said. The Swede then explained why he had reached the decision, stating, “I am tired. I’m feeling very tired. I don’t know if you can tell,” he said, before zooming the camera into his eyes jokingly. Pewds then revealed when he would be taking his break from YouTube, before explaining he would provide more details in time. “Just so you know, early next year I will be away for a little while. I will explain that later. I just wanted to give a heads up,” he said. His shock announcement comes as no surprise for many, as the YouTuber has been constant with his daily uploads for years with little to no breaks in between. The Swedish personality had actually hinted at taking a break during his August 18 vlog, where he stated “I do think it would be good for me to take a break at some point. It would be nice to not have YouTube in my brain for the first time in 10 years.” (Timestamp 10:30 for mobile users.) PewDiePie explains why his first days in Japan were “shocking” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why his first days in Japan were “shocking” YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has posted his first video since his long-awaited move to Japan. He admitted that he and his wife Marzia were a little “scared” over the change and their first few days in the country proved to be “shocking.” PewDiePie has finally arrived in Japan. It’s been a long and straining for the YouTuber who first announced he and Marzia were making the move back in September 2019. However, there were numerous bumps in the road for the couple. Global travel restrictions greatly hindered their plans and they also struggled to find a safe way to transport their two pet pugs, Edgar and Maya. Yet, that all changed in May 2022, when PewDiePie revealed that he had officially landed in Japan with his family. However, the first couple of days in their new home turned out to be pretty hectic. PewDiePie describes early days in Japan On May 15, PewDiePie said that he, Marzia, and the pets were “doing great.” Although, the family’s first few days in their new home proved to be surprising. “The first few days were kinda shocking,” the Swede claimed. “First it was like ‘we made it to Japan! Oh, we’re in Japan. The f*ck? We don’t speak the language. Did we just move to another country where we don’t speak the language halfway across the globe in our 30’s […] Yeah I guess we did.’” The 32-year-old admitted that the move required a lot of sacrifices for the couple having to move away from their family and friends. Yet, ultimately, it was what they wanted to do and they wanted to take on a new adventure. What’s next for PewDiePie? After PewDiePie first announced his plans for Japan, fans questioned whether he could be planning to move there and retire from YouTube. Although this isn’t the case for the minute, he stated that he doesn’t want to do the job forever. “So far, I don’t feel like [retiring]. If anything I want to keep making videos. In the same way, I have been, I’m sharing stuff that I feel like sharing. Doing projects that I really want to do and not just upload for the sake of uploading. “Uploading daily for 12 years has been great, but I don’t want to do it for another 12 years, okay? That just seems like a sad way of living to me. There are other things I want to experience in my life.”

PewDiePie explains why he’s “humbled” by YouTube success YouTube: PewDiePieDuring his May 4 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg opened up to viewers about his career, and explained why a 10 year old Call of Duty video left him feeling “humbled.” PewDiePie may be known today as the face of YouTube, but the Swedish entertainer originally got his start on the platform over 10 years ago making commentary videos on games like Minecraft, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. On May 2, the entertainer got a taste of nostalgia after accidentally uploading a Call of Duty: Black Ops Lets Play he had made at the start of his career. During his latest upload, the Swede explained how the video made him reflect on his success. People are like “Oh, he’s doing it to promote Black Ops! … No I’m just an idiot!” He further explained that he was going to private the content, but was surprised when his fans seemed to enjoy it. “I was going to private it right away as soon as I noticed. But people loved the video. I’m glad I didn’t say anything bad in it, things were different 10 years ago, remember?” he joked. Pewds then opened up about how the video made him feel humbled. “This took me back so hard! I’m just like damn, going from that little Swede in that tiny flat, to where I am today is just unbelievable. I can barely speak English, I’m second guessing every word I say. Thank you for watching. I’m just so humbled by it. It gave me so much perspective,” he said. (Timestamp 05:11 for mobile users.) PewDiePie smiled when a fan congratulated him on hitting his 10th anniversary of making content, and revealed how he felt about the milestone. “Thank you, guys. When I first hit it, I was like “Oh, ten years!” but now I’m reflecting on it and it’s insane to think about it.” The Swedish star originally joined YouTube on April 29, 2010 and got his start creating gaming content. The first video on his channel was a short Minecraft commentary clip, which is fitting since he re-visited the sandbox title in 2019. In what will surely make fans feel nostalgic, the YouTuber ended the video by giving his iconic “Bro Fist” sign off. “Thanks for 10 years. You know what? F**k it! Let’s do a Bro Fist. Thank you, guys!” After spending 10 years making content on the platform, PewDiePie announced on May 4 that he had signed a deal with YouTube Gaming to stream exclusively on their service. “Livestreaming is something I’m focusing a lot on in 2020,” he said. With the Swedish entertainer putting a bigger focus on live broadcasting this year, fans have a lot to be excited about – if his epic Minecraft series and Terraria Lets Plays are anything to go by.

PewDiePie explains why he’s not a fan of the Mukbang craze – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he’s not a fan of the Mukbang craze PewDiePie, YouTube / PhillyVoiceYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has weighed in on one of the internet’s fastest-growing trends – and he doesn’t quite understand its popularity. ‘Mukbang,’ a blend of the Korean words for ‘eating’ and ‘broadcast,’ is a new internet fad (popularized by Korea) where hosts eat large quantities of food in front of their online audience. This trend has since spread to the West, and PewDiePie admitted that he isn’t a big fan of the foodie craze. The YouTuber revealed his disgust with hearing people smack or slurp as they eat, and couldn’t find the appeal in watching someone stuff their face on camera – even speculating that the fad might be a sexual kink. “It’s like ASMR, but it’s fucking repulsive,” Pewds said of the trend. “…it’s kind of like watching a train wreck. I don’t like it, but I’m still gonna watch it.” While he was open about his distaste for Mukbang, Pewds sympathized with its appeal somewhat, noting that Korea’s tradition of eating together is slowly dying in the wake of single-person households. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJDT2sIjLK4 “I can’t really be too harsh – it’s kind of similar to gameplay,” Pewds stated. “People criticized that when it was new, saying, ‘Why don’t you just play the game yourself?’ It’s fun to share experiences with others, I do get that.” Pewds went on to roast the use of Mukbang in YouTube Rewind 2018, jokingly claiming that the platform would rather “promote obesity to children” than include “edgy jokes” in its year-end celebration.

PewDiePie explains why he’s canceling $50K ADL donation – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he’s canceling $50K ADL donation PewDiePie – YouTubeFelix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg received a lot of backlash from his fans after announcing a $50,000 donation to the Anti-Defamation League – a donation he has since retracted. In an attempt to bury the hatchet, PewDiePie made a sizable donation to the ADL, an organization that stands against the defamation of Jewish people, so he could move past his rivalry with the mainstream media. However, his fanbase had a lot of issues with this, as r/PewDiePieSubmissions was flooded with angry fans, and he made a since-deleted statement on Twitter defending his donation. A day later, the tweet has been deleted and he reversed his stance. The deleted tweet. At the beginning of a video on September 12, he announced he was not going through with the donation, and said he was advised to make the donation by his sponsor Honey. Since he was in the process of getting married, he didn’t have proper time to research a charity he felt strongly about. “I made the mistake of picking a charity I was advised to consider instead of picking a charity that I’m personally passionate about,” he explained. “Which is 100% my fault.” PewDiePie is YouTube’s biggest individual creator. Instead, PewDiePie is redirecting the money and saving it for a charity he has more passion for, noting that his fanbase took issue with his relatively brief donation announcement in his 100 million subscriber video. “When I uploaded the video talking about the charity it was very brief and people could tell something was off,” he said. “The whole internet just didn’t believe it.” He explained the donation was done to help him move past all of his previous controversies, including the Christchurch shooter shouting his name out. “To be fair, I saw it as an opportunity to put an end to these alt-right claims that have been thrown against me.” The Swedish YouTuber has not yet said what charity his donation will go to instead, so fans should keep an eye out for that in the future. This latest installment comes in what has been a whirlwind of major events for PewDiePie, as he got married, hit 101 million subscribers, and now had his charity controversy all in the course of a couple of weeks. PewDiePie explains why he thinks lip filler trend is “extremely stupid” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he thinks lip filler trend is “extremely stupid” In his latest video, YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg explained why lip fillers look awful, while also hitting out at other beauty trends such as plastic surgery. As PewDiePie gears up to take his short break from YouTube in 2020, he has been reacting to various content, and during his January 10 upload, he aimed his sights at the beauty world. The Swede was reading the “Everything is Awful” subreddit, and couldn’t stop laughing when a submission about lip fillers led him to explain why he thinks the trend looks bad. PewDiePie says lip fillers look “stupid” The YouTuber was in the middle of browsing “awful” things on Reddit when he came upon a submission about a botched lip filler job titled “Influencer whose lip fillers look like a tiny mouth within her larger mouth.” This caused him to break into laughter before he turned towards the camera to give a rant about the beauty trend. “Ladies, you look stupid. Alright? You may amongst your little girly friend group think that looks good, because your other girly friends have it.” “But you look dumb. You look very dumb. You look extremely stupid. No guy actually likes the way you looks, just so we’re clear,” he continued. (Timestamp 12:18 for mobile users.) While empathetic towards those who seem addicted to plastic surgery, the YouTuber also called out doctors who enable it. “Who is the mother f**ker who did the surgery, right? It takes two to tango, who did this, huh? Someone really wanted that $76,000 paycheck, huh. Jesus Christ!” he said. This isn’t the first time the Swede has commented on plastic surgery – during his January 11 upload, he reacted to a documentary of an obsessed BTS fan who was using it to make himself look Korean. “The thing with plastic surgery, yeah, I understand you have some part of you that you maybe want to change. But you look like plastic surgery. It’s not a natural look. I don’t understand how that is helping anyone,” he explained during the segment. PewDiePie opened up his latest video joking about his break from making content this year. “I need you to prepare for when I’m finally going on a break, to understand how other things are bad too,” he exclaimed. PewDiePie explains why he really wants to raid the Vatican – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he really wants to raid the Vatican Stefano Rellandini / reutersSwedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has championed the idea of raiding the Vatican following the viral Area 51 plan, and in his latest episode of Meme Review, explained he really wants it to happen. PewDiePie is the biggest content creator on YouTube, with over 100 million subscribers and videos like his Meme Review show, where he discusses the latest images and clips going viral on the internet, regularly drawing in millions of viewers. Following the Area 51 raid, which the Swede called a “win”, he joked the Vatican, which is the home of the pope, should be the next target and just a week later, he’s already explaining why he wants this to happen. During his October 1 edition of Meme Review, the topic of the Vatican raid came up again, and the 29-year-old couldn’t help but celebrate the fact that his joke had gained traction. “Can we force this meme?” PewDiePie said while laughing. “The thing is, I kind of want to see this happen. I know this meme was terribly forced, it came right after Area 51 which was already dragged out.” “I really want to. I legitimately want to see what’s in the Vatican archives!” As for what they hope to see inside the Vatican, one meme creator even suggested they could find Jesus hidden inside, with PewDiePie sending a message to him should he be watching the video. “Jesus, if you’re watching this and they have YouTube down there, we’re coming,” quipped the YouTube star. “We got you bro, we’re going to save you!” Of course, PewDiePie has no intention of actually storming the Vatican, and doesn’t want any of his viewers to attempt it, but the meme potential is definitely of interest to the Swede. While the Vatican raid idea has certainly taken off with his massive audience, it hasn’t quite had the same mainstream appeal as the raid on Area 51 in search for the truth about aliens.

PewDiePie explains why he isn’t accepting streaming donations anymore – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he isn’t accepting streaming donations anymore YouTube: PewDiePiePopular YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is no longer accepting streaming donations from fans, after calling the process “weird.” This comes after Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys revealed she’s putting a $5 cap on hers. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] With over 107 million subscribers to his channel, PewDiePie is the undisputedly one of the most recognized entertainers in the world. In March, the Swede revealed his move towards streaming after signing a multi-million dollar deal with YouTube. During his November 5 broadcast, the 31-year-old announced that he will no longer be accepting donations from fans. The star explained why he found the process to be “weird” after giving money away to Twitch streamers in October. PewDiePie stops taking streaming donations While normally known for his YouTube content, PewDiePie has become one of the most watched streamers in the world in 2020. However, during his November 5 broadcast, Kjellberg opened up about why he is no longer taking donations. “I decided I don’t want to accept more donations. I appreciate just the chatting,” he said in response to a fan who was trying to give him money during the stream. Pewds then revealed that it was his October 15 video he made donating to Twitch streamers that made him change his stance on the subject. “It was actually when I did my donating to Twitch streamer video that made me realize just how weird it is to donate money to people. Like if someone gave me that money on the street I would be like “what the f**k no” but for some reason if I’m streaming, “pay me.” I don’t get it. It just makes no sense,” he said. The YouTube legend was quick to point out that he doesn’t judge anyone else for taking donations, but that this was something specific to him. “I’m not judging other people. From my perspective, it doesn’t make sense. So I’m not accepting it, I don’t think I need it,” he said. The entertainer’s move follows in the footsteps of Twitch star Pokimane, who revealed she is capping her donations at $5 on November 2 – although PewDiePie explained that his decision wasn’t connected. This isn’t the first time Pewds has bucked industry trends either. Since June, he has been donating all of his subscriber money to a new charity each month, and lets fans help decide on an organization.

PewDiePie explains why he loves Billie Eilish’s TikTok account – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he loves Billie Eilish’s TikTok account YouTube: PewDiePie / Instagram: billieeilishYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed that he’s a big fan of singer Billie Eilish’s TikTok content after watching her videos for the first time. There are a few celebrities on TikTok who take over the viral video platform on a regular basis, drawing millions of eyes and sparking buzz across the net. Names like Jason Derulo, Lizzo, and Will Smith are among them… but singer-songwriter Billie Eilish certainly takes the cake when it comes to humorous videos (her original TikTok handle was ‘coochiedestroyer5,’ after all). YouTube’s most-subscribed content creator, PewDiePie, got a crash course intro to Eilish’s TikTok account on February 13 during a ‘Try not to Laugh’ video with fellow YouTuber JackSepticEye — and it’s safe to say that he was pleasantly surprised. PewDiePie reacts to Billie Eilish’s TikTok videos Jack introduced PewDiePie to the singer’s account by showing off her hilarious (and honestly, pretty impressive) video where she placed her eyes over classic historical paintings. The video has accrued over 20 million likes and 114 million views since being uploaded on January 25 — and PewDiePie understands the hype. “That’s good!” he praised. “I gotta commend her because a lot of the celebrities on TikTok just aren’t funny.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. JackSepticEye then showed him Eilish’s hilarious take on ‘the killer is escaping’ meme that took over the platform last Fall. Rather than mimicking actress Sarah Paulson’s brilliantly deadpan facial expression while mouthing the horrifying phrase, the singer instead flares her nostrils in time to the words. The video has accrued over 91 million views and earned a genuine “that’s good” from PewDiePie. (Topic begins at 4:19) Although Pewds has historically been very critical of TikTok, it’s clear he has an open mind to certain videos… provided they’re actually funny and creative. Looks like Eilish won his seal of approval!

Since creating his channel in 2010, PewDiePie has long-held the position as one of the most popular YouTubers on the platform. With over 111M subscribers, Felix is the most subscribed single-user channel with MrBeast about to take his spot sooner than later. In a recent video upload, PewDiePie revealed why he hasn’t quit uploading videos to his channel despite revealing that he “retired” two years ago. PewDiePie reveals why he hasn’t quit uploading YouTube videos On September 14, PewDiePie uploaded a video revealing his thoughts behind being a YouTuber for as long as he has. He talked about how he “retired” from the platform nearly two years ago — but he hasn’t stopped uploading videos to his channel. “What I meant was that I just wanna do YouTube the way I did it when I started which is for fun,” he explained. “I didn’t do it to become this big channel. So instead, I try to just focus on what’s fun about YouTube.” (Topic starts at 3:50 in the video) He went on to explain that he’s trying to avoid all the “bulls**t” on the platform and just wants to enjoy sharing stuff with his fans. “YouTube has started to become fun again over the last two years. Why should I quit? It’s my dream after all to do YouTube,” Felix added. PewDiePie explains why he hasn’t moved to Japan yet – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he hasn’t moved to Japan yet YouTube: PewDiePie / Unsplash.com: Manuel ConstentinoIn 2019, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed that he’d bought a house in Japan… but two years later, the social media star still hasn’t been able to make the move. PewDiePie is one of the biggest names on the internet. The YouTuber was one of the first ‘lets players’ to make it big, and has now become the site’s most-subscribed independent channel. While he’s been living in the UK for some time, the Swedish social media star announced that he would be moving abroad in 2019, claiming that he’d bought a house in Japan. Unfortunately, this move was delayed… by two entire years. More recently, fans have noticed that the star has been uploading videos in a different location than his usual office, prompting some speculation that he could finally be moving overseas. PewDiePie reveals why he hasn’t moved to Japan Despite fans’ hopes, it seems that this is not the case. On December 29, 2021, PewDiePie gave his viewers a long-awaited update on his living situation, explaining why he hasn’t been able to settle down in the Land of the Rising Sun just yet. PewDiePie claimed that, due to Japan shutting its borders in response to the ongoing global health situation, he hasn’t been able to even enter the country, let alone move all his belongings there. On top of that, the star said it’s been difficult procuring the necessary office and employees for a Business Visa, which will allow him to live in the country for five years. That’s not all; PewDiePie went on to state that he’s felt guilty for being saddened by his inability to move, saying that he didn’t want to be “someone well off who’s complaining about how [the virus] is affecting them.” “Even just making the choice to move there was really difficult,” he admitted. “We obviously would be leaving everything that we built here behind, all these amazing friends, but we just felt like we really wanted to take on this adventure while we’re still young.” “I’m almost sorry for even making this video,” he added. “It just feels super lame. I don’t like talking about this. It feels like I’m complaining and I feel entitled.” The YouTuber finished his video by wishing others in his situation good luck — be they students studying abroad or others hoping to work in Japan — and urged the country to give an update on when it will be opening its borders again.

PewDiePie explains why he gave away his diamond YouTube play button to a fan YouTube: PewDiePieFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg explained why he decided to give away his diamond YouTube play button to a fan, despite it being a trophy for his 100 million subscriber achievement. Pewds is one of the longest-running YouTubers on the internet, with reaction videos. Now, it seems the creator has settled down as he gets older alongside his wife, Marzia. Shortly after PewDiePie stunned subscribers with his announcement that he was taking a break at the beginning of the year, he’s become the first creator on the platform to surpass 110m followers. Since his achievement, he’s created a diss-track for a children’s entertainment channel and has even claimed to take over part of Antarctica. In an October 25 video upload, PewDiePie explained why he decided to give away his 100m subscriber YouTube play button to a fan as a wedding gift. PewDiePie gives away his diamond play button Some people might believe that Felix has a unique take on life, as he explained: “I don’t like putting value into objects, I like putting value into action. Everyone knows what we accomplished with this channel.” The 32-year-old Swedish YouTuber doesn’t want to make it seem like he doesn’t appreciate the award from YouTube, though: “I loved receiving it, I don’t want to seem ungrateful for getting it but at the end of the day it just doesn’t seem important to keep it.” He didn’t want to give it to just anyone, as he explained that he wanted to make sure it went to a fan of the channel that would appreciate it. “Obviously I can’t give it to all of my fans, so it made sense to send it to Lizard Lava.” In LizardLava’s thank you video on his channel, he explained that he’s a huge fan of the Swedish creator, and even claims he joked with his wife about getting the one-of-a-kind award before it actually arrived.

PewDiePie explains why he has “no sympathy” for Alinity after breakdown – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he has “no sympathy” for Alinity after breakdown YouTube: PewDiePie / Twitch: AlinityFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has taken aim at Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon after the Twitch streamer had a breakdown on stream on July 2. The YouTube megastar said that, while her situation is “horrible,” he feels “no sympathy” for her. PewDiePie and Alinity were at each other’s throats back in 2018, after Mogollon issued a copyright strike on Kjellberg’s YouTube channel over a joke about “Twitch thots.” The streamer asked whether she could copystrike PewDiePie “for show,” before someone from a company representing her pulled the trigger. Alinity has since clarified that the claim was reportedly made on accident as a “joke.” Alinity received a ton of criticism for the move back in 2018 — among other things in her Twitch career — that led the streamer to put out an emotional statement on July 2. “The sh*t you guys say really affects people, okay? You guys have no idea how many times I’ve wanted to kill myself,” she said. While she’s vowed to “be better,” Kjellberg has taken the streamer’s comments with a grain of salt. He addressed the streamer’s breakdown on a July 8 broadcast, as well as some comments made in a recent discussion with popular streamer Dr. K about the copyright strike drama. PewDiePie claimed that while he’s happy to leave the drama in the past, all he wants Alinity to do is own up to it. The YouTuber believes she hasn’t apologized for some of the things she’s done, and instead opted to shift blame. “I can’t feel sad for her. It’s obviously horrible that she got to that point, but to get people to stop harassing her would be so easy. I feel like I tried to help her at the end of my videos when the drama was getting out of hand. It was so clear that she didn’t want to own up to what she did,” he stated. “She didn’t want to be like ‘yeah, even though I technically wasn’t the one who copyright striked the videos, I still took credit for it, and I was acting all up in arms about it.’ [With] some acknowledgment, I think people would have backed off, but I could see so clearly that she had no intention of doing that whatsoever.” While he primarily talked about the 2018 incident between him and Alinity, he also briefly mentioned more recent drama. This included when Divine threw her cat above her head while streaming, as well as spitting vodka into her cat’s mouth. He argued that the Twitch streamer “played into [being the victim],” and because she refused to apologize, people became resentful towards her. “More and more things happened with Alinity that was outside of my drama — she did the whole cat meme, and fed a cat some vodka, and she threw her cat over her head — and she didn’t get banned. I think people’s resentment that she was some untouchable figure [on Twitch]…and she became the villain of the internet,” he said. Kjellberg did acknowledge the impact the comments have had on Alinity. However, he also claimed that there is still a window for forgiveness if she takes the right action. “The internet is ruthless, and it’s disgusting how it gets so far that it’ll drive people to become suicidal. I’m all against that, but the internet is surprisingly forgiving as well. If you own up to what you’ve done, it’s always the easiest way to get people off your back.” As for what PewDiePie wants, he doesn’t want an apology — or anything for himself. What he wants is ultimately for the streamer to “own up,” but until then, he won’t feel much sympathy. “Long story short, I don’t really care…I don’t want an apology. Just move on, and maybe own up to the cat stuff at least. No shifting blame, or just move on. I’m sure [Alinity] will be fine. “I’m sure she’s gone through a lot. Unfortunately, that’s how it is online when you do bad things. I can speak from experience, it’s not easy, it’s tough as hell. Still, knowing all this, I don’t have much sympathy. Maybe I’m just an a**hole.”

PewDiePie explains why he’s not embarrassed by his old “cringey” YouTube videos – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he’s not embarrassed by his old “cringey” YouTube videos YouTube: PewDiePie / FreepikYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg recently reminisced about the first video he recorded, and the cringiness of his other older content when he first started out on the platform. With the recent craze of Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR‘ Keem’s Minecraft Monday sweeping YouTube, the platform’s biggest star PewDiePie has been making his own videos on the game whilst also reflecting about his history. While this isn’t the first time the Swedish YouTuber has opened up about his past, his latest exchange with his fans revealed details that had not been heard before. PewDiePie’s beginnings… “A lot of people seem to think my first video was a Minecraft video. Basically my first video technically that is on my channel is a Minecraft video, but it wasn’t my first video that I uploaded,” PewDiePie said. The YouTube star had uploaded other videos before his Minecraft video, but decided to remove them due to being too “cringey.” Showing humility, the YouTube star told his audience that he doesn’t really care about people seeing his older videos anymore – despite them being cringeworthy – and even suggested that he could upload them back to his channel someday. He also commented that other YouTubers worry about their entire catalog being perfect, but that there is nothing wrong with messing up by making terrible videos when first starting out. He could have worked for Mojang PewDiePie also revealed that he actually lost the first Minecraft video he ever recorded. Amusingly, he told fans that he uploaded it to a website hoping that they would post it, but they never did so sadly, there’s next-to-no hopes of it cropping up online any time soon. Read More: VidCon ‘influencer apology’ costume has the internet in stitches Reflecting further on his beginnings, the YouTuber also described the awkwardness he found when recording himself playing games. “Who am I talking to? I have no audience. Am I supposed to talk to people like there is [someone there]?” However, his biggest reveal of all was when he admitted that he actually applied to work for Mojang when he was younger after he fell in love with Minecraft. “Mojang, if you leak my email I will kill you”, he laughed. (Timestamp 9:08 for mobile viewers) PewDiePie working on Minecraft could have led to some interesting results, but at least we have his videos to entertain us instead.

PewDiePie explains why he doesn’t collaborate with other YouTubers often – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he doesn’t collaborate with other YouTubers often YouTube: PewDiePie[jwplayer ftb8P7Xy]On June 15, YouTube personality Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg tackled personal questions in an “assumptions” video, and opened up about why he doesn’t work with other creators as often as he’d like to. For many, PewDiePie has been the face of YouTube for nearly a decade. The content creator has come a long way from his humble roots in Sweden, as he’s now the most followed individual on the platform with 105 million subscribers. During his latest video, the star tackled “assumptions” about him in a question and answer style interview. The 30-year-old explained to viewers why he doesn’t get to collaborate with others often. PewDiePie on why he doesn’t collaborate often The entertainer tackled the “assumptions about me” trend on social media, where creators answer personal comments from viewers. During the segment, the Swede responded to a fan who believed he doesn’t collaborate with new guests due to “disliking most of YouTube.” “That’s not true. I collabed with Ninja, I collabed with James Charles and that was fun,” he said, before opening up about why he doesn’t work with other creators often. “I think it’s more the fact that I don’t like asking people “Hey you wanna collab?” …It feels weird to me.” He admitted that while he likes working with other YouTubers, he dislikes asking others for things in general. “I don’t know why. I just really hate asking people for stuff. I do enjoy it. I just don’t like asking,” he continued. Pewds also explained to his audience that despite his outgoing personality on camera, he’s actually shy. “I’m shy and I don’t like it. That’s the truth. I try to push myself to not be, but it’s really hard. It comes across very obvious when I interact with other people online sometimes.” (Topic starts at 13:44.) The star also addressed other subjects, such as fans running into him in real life, what his personality is like off camera, and why he struggles to talk about serious topics online. PewDiePie announced on May 4 that he had signed a major deal with YouTube to stream exclusively on their platform. The personality’s shift towards live broadcasts in 2020 seems to have paid off, as he revealed he’s having the most fun in a while making content because he gets to interact with fans.

PewDiePie explains why being internet famous is “useless” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why being internet famous is “useless” YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has explained why becoming famous online is not something that people should strive for. PewDiePie is YouTube’s most popular individual content creator gathering a massive following of over 102 million subscribers since starting his channel in 2010. The YouTube star would likely know more about being internet famous than anyone else on the planet, however, he explained that it is not as good as many would suspect. PewDiePie was reacting to clips of the popular TV show Dr. Phil for his channel which featured two young YouTubers who had made an infamous viral video where they had licked inside of a tub of Ice-cream before placing it back on the shelf for an unsuspecting customer. The video received a lot of backlash when it was first posted, although the YouTubers who had filmed it were seemingly proud of the amount of attention they were receiving regardless if it was mostly hate messages. Speaking from his own experiences, PewDiePie explained that although he understands the appeal of people wanting to become famous it is not as meaningful as many make it out to be. “Being famous for a lot of people is something they want to experience, everyone wants to know what it feels like, everyone wants that 15 minutes, It doesn’t mean sh*t, listen to me!” Topic starts at 19:34 for mobile users. The popular YouTuber expressed that reaching a high level of internet fame can be useless if you have nothing else to show for it and that it shouldn’t be seen as a priority, “Being famous is one of the most useless things you can be, it is not something you should strive to be.” After watching the young content creators on Dr. Phil, who apparently let the dream of becoming famous get to their heads, PewDiePie shared that becoming famous is not worth affecting others in a negative manner. “Being popular online used to be a recognition of doing something cool but now people want to be recognized so badly, they’ll do something negative. It’s so pathetic, how low will people go?” Despite his criticism of those with internet fame, the YouTube star often makes time for his fans and recently attracted a huge crowd to an unexpected meet and greet in Canada.

PewDiePie explains why BTS fans are “the most insane on the planet” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why BTS fans are “the most insane on the planet” YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg claimed that BTS fans “are the most insane on the planet” while watching a documentary about one of the Korean band’s most obsessed followers. BTS is one of the most popular KPOP groups in Korea, and making their debut in 2013 , they have amassed a loyal fan base from around the world that is intensely dedicated to them. PewDiePie demonstrated this during his January 11 upload, when he reacted to a fan that had taken his obsession to the next level by using plastic surgery to look like member of the band Jimin. PewDiePie reacts to obsessed BTS fan The popular YouTuber was watching a video about a BTS fan who spent over $150,000 to look Korean, and confessed, “You know I’m not gonna lie. I had the KPOP bug bite me too. But I think you know, there is a limit to everything. My God!” He was astonished by the fan’s admission that KPOP idols are “manufactured” to be perfect, and yet still wanted to emulate that. “Yeah, that’s the whole thing, it’s all manufactured. They all do surgery in Korea. It’s all just companies producing these stars like out of a treadmill,” he said. Read More: Jeffree Star confirms break up rumors – Pewds then exclaimed that BTS fans are crazy. “I wonder what the BTS stans think of this guy,” he said. “Because they are the most insane people on the planet!” Although, he was quick to clarify that, “Not everyone. But some of them are. That’s pretty fair.” (Timestamp 01:24 for mobile users.) While he specified it wasn’t all of the BTS Army, the Swede has faced the wrath of KPOP lovers before. During his January 4 edition of PewNews, the YouTuber revealed that fans became upset that he ranked second on a ‘100 Most Handsome Faces of 2019’ list. “People were really upset that their favorite KPOP stan didn’t make it to the list, so they used me as the ugly example!” he explained, as he showed tweets that were comparing his face to a famous Korean musician. The 30-year-old, amused with his placement on the list, shouted, “suck it KPOP stans!” BTS member Jungkook ultimately took the number one spot on the list, just one place ahead of the YouTube star. (Timestamp 00:22 for mobile users.) Despite claiming some BTS fans to be intense, PewDiePie has been a fan of the Korean band in the past, mentioning them in numerous videos, and following them on social media. The Swede announced in December 2019 that he would be taking a short break from creating content on the video platform, and has surely earned the vacation, reaching 102 million subscribers late last year.

PewDiePie explains why Apple rejected his mobile game – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Apple rejected his mobile game YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has finally unveiled his latest mobile game, but a major platform has apparently rejected the title upon release. PewDiePie teased his new game “Poopdie” in February 2018, and after nearly a year and a half of waiting, the title is finally in fans’ hands – well, almost. Although the game is officially available on the Google Play store for free, Apple users will have to wait for their chance to try out Kjellberg’s newest project, as Apple apparently rejected the game’s appearance on its platform. According to PewDiePie, Apple deemed the title “too stinky” to appear on its store – and although there’s no telling what that phrase actually means, it could hint that the merchant found the game to be too graphic or “inappropriate” for consumers. Read More: Why is #YouTubeIsOver trending on Twitter? – “A bit of un-epic news for us,” PewDiePie announced in a video on December 12. “When we submitted the game, Apple thought this game was too stinky, for whatever reason. It’s all cartoony, but apparently, this game is too stinky for Apple. It’s only out for Google Play right now, we’re working to fix that.” The plot for Kjellberg’s “Poopdie” follows the exploits of a worm by the same name, who is the mockery of his social circle due to an overwhelming “farting problem.” Players are tasked with defeating the evil “Samron” and his band of “vicious creatures” using Poopdie’s farting ability – a premise that could likely explain Apple’s stance on the game, considering its intentionally gag-inducing (yet somehow adorable) artwork. Poopdie is more than a farting machine though. The worm can even create poo after eating a select amount of food found in the game’s world, which aids him in his quest by attacking enemies and harvesting more victuals. Of course, this isn’t PewDiePie’s first venture in the world of mobile games. The internet celeb is also known for his highly-acclaimed “Tuber Simulator” title, which allows players to take the role of a YouTube star and use their subscriber count to buy items that enhance their performance. While PewDiePie’s latest venture isn’t yet available on the Apple App Store, fans can view 20 minutes of gameplay on his channel as they wait for its eventual release.

PewDiePie explains why he’s been banned in China – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he’s been banned in China During his October 19 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg made the shocking announcement that his content has been banned in China, and explained why. PewDiePie is the biggest content creator on YouTube with over 101 million subscribers and his audience spread all across the world. However, one place the Swede’s content is no longer welcome is China. During his latest episode on October 19, the YouTuber surprised his audience when he revealed that his content had now been banned in the country, as he explained it was due to him reacting to a meme. PewDiePie banned in China Pewds opened up to his audience about the ban by saying, “Well boys, we did it. I’m banned from China. After I spoke about the Hong Kong protests, and mocked their leader as looking like Winnie the Pooh, I got banned from China.” He then explained that looking up his name in the country on any site, including Reddit or YouTube, will show up a blank result. While he found it amusing, he also apologized to fans. “I’m laughing, but yeah I’m sorry if you are in China, and try to watch my videos. That kind of sucks. It’s just kind of funny.” The YouTube star said he expected the ban was coming, given the country’s history of censoring topics about Hong Kong. What got PewDiePie banned? The video that got the Swede banned was his October 16 episode of ‘Meme Review’ where the YouTube star reviewed the current popular memes on the internet. Half way into the segment, Pewds shifted focus to the Hong Kong protests happening right now against China. He reacted to a meme about China’s leader Xi Jinping that compared him to Disney character Winnie the Pooh. “It became a meme that the Chinese leader looks exactly like Winnie the Pooh,” PewDiePie laughed. “The resemblance is uncanny!” (Timestamp of 14:17 for mobile viewers.) In 2017, the China government started censoring and banning the Disney character after bloggers started posting memes of the Chinese leader comparing him to the talking bear. The country even banned the 2018 film ‘Christopher Robin’ starring Ewan McGregor from showing in Chinese cinemas after the leader was angry and considered the meme comparisons a form of propaganda. While it’s unfortunate for PewDiePie fans in China that can no longer watch his content, the Swede doesn’t seem too bothered by it. The YouTube king has a history of speaking his mind, even when it can land him into hot water. As of the time of this article, the Swede continues to dominate on YouTube with over 101 million subscribers and no signs of slowing down.

PewDiePie explains what separates a “real” gamer from “fake” ones – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains what separates a “real” gamer from “fake” ones YouTube: PewDiePieDuring his March 8 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg revealed how to tell if someone is a real “gamer” while also sharing some hilarious takes on gaming. PewDiePie is the most popular YouTuber in the world with millions of subscribers to his channel. The Swedish entertainer got his start in gaming, and even went back to those roots in 2019 by launching his successful Minecraft series. However during his latest upload, the personality sarcastically revealed the true way to to tell if someone is a gamer or not. And it’s every bit as comical as you would expect it to be. PewDiePie on what separates “real” gamers In his latest video, the YouTuber reacted to a game show where six contestants had to guess which among them was the fake gamer. He began the segment with a joke that claimed watching your brother play or playing on your phone doesn’t count as gaming. He also opened up about growing up in Sweden, and having to hide that he played video games. “I remember when I was young, I couldn’t tell people I was a gamer. I would be judged. Called pathetic. “You played games you nerd!” Now people are faking being gamers,” he said. The Swedish star then revealed how to spot a fake gamer. “You know what’s a great way to figure out if someone is a fake gamer? Ask them: “Rate your favorite Dark Souls games.” Or just Souls game in general. See what order they do. And if they pick Dark Souls 2 at the top, you just throw them out of there!” When one of the contestants used their love of Kingdom Hearts to prove they weren’t the fake gamer, PewDiePie said “I believe this guy, because anyone who has Kingdom Hearts as their favorite game cannot shut the f**k up about it. So I believe him, he’s 100% clear!” The popular entertainer also had a similar analysis for Nintendo’s Paper Mario franchise. “Paper Mario, that’s another Kingdom Hearts type of game that people grew up on. So I believe that would be someone’s favorite game.” Another telltale sign to spot a true gamer? According to Pewds, it’s unfunny shirts. “The one thing gamers love, it’s unfunny shirts. They just can’t get enough. I know a couple of people are watching this right now, and they’re looking down going “Ah f**k, goddammit he’s right!” he said, breaking into laughter. (Timestamp 05:31 for mobile users.) It should be noted that PewDiePie was being tongue and cheek, and has a long history of calling himself a “pro gamer” with “epic” abilities. His comical takes on the medium will no doubt have his fans in stitches. Despite taking a month-long break in January, the Swedish personality’s return has been met with insane views. His first Minecraft video since December has already racked up close to 8 million views in just a couple of days.

PewDiePie explains why anti-vaxxers need to be stopped – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why anti-vaxxers need to be stopped YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg took shots at the anti-vaccination movement, and had a solution for how to stop it after reacting to several outbreak incidents. PewDiePie is without a doubt the biggest individual YouTuber in the world. With over 102 million subscribers across the globe, he’s one of the most influential entertainers of 2019. The Swede was reacting to submissions on the ‘Facepalm’ forum of Reddit when he came upon several of them involving anti-vaxxers, and had a tough stance on the movement. PewDiePie literally facepalms over anti-vaxxers The YouTuber was reacting to an article posted to the r/facepalm subreddit about a person with measles who went to an NBA game and infected 22 other attendees. “Oh God, I genuinely facepalmed. Twenty-two peopled infected! Stop! This is where the government needs to steps in and just f**king vaccinate everyone!” he exclaimed, explaining his solution to the problem. “What are they gonna do next!? Put chip in our hands!? Government, stay out!” he said, mocking members of the movement who believe that vaccines are used by the government for nefarious reasons. Later on the video, Pewds came across a social media post submitted to the forum that was from a mother who questioned if she was a terrible parent after her child contracted whooping cough from not vaccinating. “Could I have prevented this?” the YouTuber read out loud, before breaking into laughter and slapping his forehead. “That is such a facepalm!” he exclaimed, as he couldn’t believe what he’d just read. “Am I a terrible mother? Yes!” he exclaimed in response to the person. He then took another shot at anti-vaxxers who believe that it causes autism. “But my child now has autism. Poof! It has autism!” (Timestamp 00:28 for mobile users.) PewDiePie continues to have an incredible year, growing his channel to over 102 million subscribers in 2019, marrying his best friend Marzia ‘CutiePie’ Bisognin in August, and buying a new house in Japan. The Swedish star was recognized by YouTube in their yearly round up video ‘Rewind’ and was listed as the most viewed channel on the platform. He was also credited with making Minecraft the most watched game this year.

PewDiePie explains why he thinks Tfue’s contract drama with FaZe is “fishy” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he thinks Tfue’s contract drama with FaZe is “fishy” Tfue, PewDiePie, Banks – YouTubePopular Fortnite Battle Royale pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is suing esports organization FaZe for being signed into an “oppressive” contract – and YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is expressing some sympathy towards Tfue’s situation. PewDiePie spoke out on the drama during an episode of ‘Pew News’ on May 23, where he warned content creators and esports pros alike to refrain from signing any contracts before hiring a lawyer to review them. “If there’s one message from this, it’s don’t sign anything, unless you know what you’re getting 100% into,” Kjellberg said of the matter. “…get a lawyer to look after it. I don’t care how small of a YouTuber you are.” PewDiePie likewise felt that the contract drama was “fishy” as a whole, claiming that he understood Tfue’s concerns over the alleged 80/20 brand deal split while keeping Bank’s feelings of betrayal in mind. The YouTuber went on to take issue with Tfue’s response video addressing the drama, claiming that it seemed like fans had to “take his word” that his contract was “oppressive.” PewDiePie isn’t the only major YouTuber to speak out on the drama, either; Ethan Klein, of comedy duo H3H3, called one of Bank’s Tweets addressing the matter as a potential breach of NDA, asking Tfue to release the contract, himself. “This tweet seems like a breach of confidentiality, which could void any NDA you may have signed, Tfue, meaning you could release the contract yourself,” Klein wrote. This tweet seems like a breach of confidentiality which could void any NDA you may have signed @TTfue, meaning you could release the contract yourself. — Ethan Klein (@h3h3productions) May 23, 2019 Tfue has since asked FaZe to “release the contract” in question, which Banks admitted was “horrible” – but not without calling Tfue a “selfish asshole” for wanting to create his own organization in response to the drama. “Turner isn’t some martyr for the greater good, he’s a selfish asshole who doesn’t give a fuck about anyone but himself,” Banks Tweeted. “Like, seriously, homie? You’re down the street from me. Let’s talk.” It’s disgusting and anyone who doesn’t see straight past this, sorry but you’re a fkn idiot. Turner isn’t some martyr for the greater good, he’s a selfish asshole who doesn’t give a fuck about anyone but himself. Like seriously homie? You’re down the street from me. Let’s talk. — FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 23, 2019 The FaZe drama isn’t limited to Tfue and Banks, alone: even Tfue’s girlfriend, Instagram model Corinna Kopf, has been dragged into the debacle, claiming that some angry fans are blaming her for Tfue’s sudden lawsuit. FaZe is set to release a statement discussing the contract at 5 PM EST via Drama Alert.

PewDiePie explains why his ‘Pew News’ YouTube show disappeared – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why his ‘Pew News’ YouTube show disappeared PewDiePieYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg finally revealed why his popular ‘Pew News’ YouTube show had disappeared for several months. Pew News, often called “the most reliable news show on the internet” by his fans, premiered in February of 2018 and features PewDiePie commenting on different news stories both online and off. Fans of the show on Reddit noticed that Pew News had disappeared during the YouTuber’s lengthy race with T-Series and fans had been too distracted by the contest to notice. Why was Pew News MIA? The YouTuber jokingly admitted that Pew News had been on a break before the May 5 episode because he wanted to lay low for a bit. “It’s almost like I wanted to avoid just a little bit of controversy just for a few weeks, how about that?” Pewds said. “That’s right everyone: two weeks of PewDiePie, no controversy. That’s a new record.” With the main campaign against T-Series apparently over, Pewds brought back pew news in his May 5 video, where he discussed the ongoing saga of fellow YouTuber Etika. Now that the show is back, we’ll just have to see if the YouTube king can keep himself separate from any controversy, or if Pewds will find himself in hot water once again. What’s next for PewDiePie? After the epic contest with T-Series didn’t end up going his way, PewDiePie seemed to slowly accept defeat after T-Series took a large lead in late April. Recently he’s brought back the popular ‘Last Week I Asked You’ segment (LWIAY), as well as ending the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement, after some fans took it a little too far. Read More: Trisha Paytas calls H3H3 a “disgusting piece of shit” because of video ‘exposing’ her photoshop – Even though the race is basically over, PewDiePie and his subscribers are still looking forward to the 100 million subscriber mark, even if he reaches it after T-Series.

PewDiePie explains the real problem with YouTube’s copyright system – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains the real problem with YouTube’s copyright system YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg spoke out on YouTube’s divisive copyright “Content ID” system, after fellow creator “Mumbo Jumbo” received claims on all of his videos for music he owned. Upon browsing the “a**holedesign” subreddit on January 9, Kjellberg came across a May 2019 Tweet from Mumbo Jumbo, who claimed that a company was striking all of his YouTube videos — despite him owning the rights to all the music used in his content. “A company is systematically copyright claiming every video I have ever made, despite me owning the rights to all music used in them,” he wrote. “Please tell me I don’t have to manually dispute all 1800 claims. Please Retweet. YouTube, your system is broken.” Hey @TeamYouTube , @YouTube A company is systematically copyright claiming every video I have ever made, despite me owning the rights to all music used in them. Please tell me I don’t have to manually dispute all 1800 claims. Please Retweet. YouTube, your system is broken. pic.twitter.com/ijFkSpa1mB — Mumbo Jumbo (@ThatMumboJumbo) May 19, 2019 As a popular Minecraft YouTuber with over 4.9 million subscribers, this mass copyright striking was certainly an alarming blow to Jumbo’s business — but PewDiePie felt the issue wasn’t necessarily the fault of YouTube, itself. While the striking happened due to a minor sample as part of his outro music, Pewds placed the blame on the music industry, noting that many copyright strikes come from massive companies in the business who choose to claim an entire video over a small selection of music. (Topic begins at 2:00 for mobile readers) “It’s so moronic that it blows my mind,” the Swede said of the matter. “The problem here isn’t YouTube. The problem is the music industry. ‘What? You used two seconds of our clip? That’s mine! Mine!’ The whole YouTube video, which has nothing to do with it. It blows my f**king mind.” Mumbo Jumbo isn’t the only YouTuber to have been hit due to such a small sample, by far. In fact, YouTube philanthropist Mr Beast was struck in February 2019, after he and his squad merely sang the chorus of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Last tweet about getting claimed, hope this gives more context. pic.twitter.com/cHJDCa75i0 — MrBeast (@MrBeast) February 11, 2019 However, it’s not just the music industry sending out mass copyright claims — anime reaction YouTuber Suzy Lu was hit with a mass “bot” from TV network Tokyo TV in late December, which similarly affected a huge swath of her Naruto-related content. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMJVmCwl-bw&feature=emb_title In spite of the widespread complaints against YouTube’s Content ID system, it doesn’t look like the problems are going away anytime soon, as more and more YouTubers speak out on the huge companies’ ability to take down their videos all at once.

PewDiePie explains why Pokémon confused him as a child – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Pokémon confused him as a child YouTube: PewDiePie / Game Freak / NintendoYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg took a break from his Minecraft series to react to software failure memes, and during the video he retold a relatable story about how a glitch in Pokémon confused him as a child. Nintendo‘s Pokémon came out in 1998 in North America and Europe, and kicked off a pop culture phenomena that still hasn’t died down to this day. Children of the 1990s grew up with the Japanese games, and are still playing them in 2019 despite being grown-ups. PewDiePie is included in this group, and during his October 6 upload, he told a story to his audience about how a glitch in Pokémon confused him during his childhood, and how it makes sense to him now as an adult – and we can all relate. PewDiePie’s Pokémon confusion Pewds was reacting to a Reddit community called ‘softwaregore’ that focuses on memes about software failing. However, when he came across a submission about a famous Pokémon glitch, the Swede was brought back to when he played the role-playing game as a child. The submission was titled ‘the OG software gore‘ and showed the infamous ‘MissingNo’ glitch that has players encountering scrambled up sprites instead of a monster. Reacting to the glitch, the Swede explained: “There is a story behind this, for you zoomers you wouldn’t understand. There was this epic hidden Pokémon that you can find. I think it was a glitch. It was super overpowered as well if you caught it.” The YouTube king pointed out how the name actually gave it away as a glitch, but when he was younger it confused him. “It’s called Missing Number. That didn’t register for me as a kid. I was like OH MY GOD MISSINGNO!” (Timestamp of 10:59 for mobile viewers.) What is MissingNo? Pewds got it right that MissingNo was in fact a bug. However, one of the main reasons this blew up among fans, besides being really cool to have, is that upon capturing the glitched-out sprite, it would duplicate the item in slot six to 128 – a really big deal for rare items. The glitch is found in Red and Blue, and is a dual-type bird/normal Pokémon. Upon encountering, players see scrambled sprites and are able to capture it. It also was featured in the Yellow version of the game. 600As of the time of this article, PewDiePie has 101 million subscribers, blowing past his 100 million YouTube milestone on August 25, making him the undisputed king of YouTube.

PewDiePie explains the “problem” with YouTube Rewind 2019 – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains the “problem” with YouTube Rewind 2019 YouTube Rewind 2019 attempted to mitigate the outrage surrounding last year’s project by creating a series of Top 10 lists, but despite this change, fans are still upset with the video – a phenomenon that PewDiePie explained a week later. Although YouTube acknowledged the backlash from Rewind 2018 in their latest year-end video, the community at large is unimpressed with the project, which has garnered an impressive seven million dislikes at the time of writing. Many complained that the platform put in considerably less effort with Rewind 2019, with top names like Jake Paul calling the wrap-up a “terrible music video” that failed to highlight some of the year’s biggest moments. YouTube rewind was awful. Basically a top 10 video on steroids but we learned nothing about those videos if we hadn’t seen them. It was basically a terrible music video? idea: YouTube should bring in and meet with creators every year to help them come up with the rewind… — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) December 6, 2019 YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg finally published his thoughts on the subject in a video on December 11, where he revealed that he’d initially agreed with YouTube’s efforts to avoid the “politics” of the year with viewer-led statistics. “When I saw it, I’m like, ‘Oh, that makes sense, actually. This way, they avoid everyone complaining about it because it’s just a list.’” However, Kjellberg likewise understood the outrage around Rewind, calling it “boring” and a “WatchMojo video” that “backfired” when trying to step back from what had become what he dubbed an “advertising reel” for YouTube’s most vanilla content. “The problem is, along the way, these YouTube Rewind videos became more and more of an advertising reel,” he explained. “It made it so that we can only show the top friendliest creators… and it became preachy and it became cringey.” (Subject begins at 9:48 for mobile readers) That’s not all: he likewise took issue with Rewind 2019 for failing to tribute late YouTuber Desmond “Etika” Amofah, who passed away after going missing in late June. “He definitely deserves to be recognized in some way,” PewDiePie continued. “I understand that it doesn’t really fit in this format, but they should have made space for it, in my opinion.” PewDiePie’s sentiments echo that of many of Etika’s fans and friends, who similarly called out the platform for not mentioning the YouTuber in their project – the latest of several Rewinds that have been met with contention from their user base, at large.

PewDiePie explains to Minecraft dog how his wedding was the “best day ever” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains to Minecraft dog how his wedding was the “best day ever” PewDiePie – YouTubeFelix ‘Minecraft dog Sven and the rest of his animals about the big day. PewDiePie didn’t let his wedding slow him down in his quest towards 100 million YouTube subscribers and very quickly got back into the swing of things. In fact, he managed to not even miss a day of uploads despite having a wedding and even had his now-wife appear on one of his new videos. However, his video with Marzia wasn’t on his normal world so in his August 22 upload he finally got to tell all of his animals, including Sven and Joergen, that he got married. “Sven, Sven’s boyfriend,” he said at the beginning of the video. “I have big news. I am married now,” as a montage of his wedding images played overlaid onto Minecraft objects. He then moved over to Joergen, who is now on his third life after undergoing two other funny, but also sad, deaths. “Joergen, give me the brofist,” he said as the horse ignored him. “Epic!” After he was finished with his animals he began talking about how much the wedding meant to him at around the 11-minute mark in the video. “It was such an amazing day,” he said. “It was the best day of my life. I know it’s so cliche to say that. When I heard other people say that I’m like ‘that’s cringe.’” Pewds explains how he had been planning the wedding for about a year and it became very stressful. Now that it’s in the rearview mirror, he’ll be able to turn his attention back to Minecraft and eventually defeating the Ender Dragon.

PewDiePie explains why he’s getting “pissed off” by James Charles and Tati drama – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he’s getting “pissed off” by James Charles and Tati drama PewDiePie, James Charles – YouTubeAs the feud between makeup gurus James Charles and Tati Westbrook rages on, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is weighing in on the matter – and he’s getting a bit tired of the drama. PewDiePie uploaded a video on the topic following the release of Charles’ second statement on May 18, where Charles debunked nearly all of Tati’s claims made in her viral “Bye Sister” video. While Kjellberg admitted that Tati’s video was likely a good “wake up call” for Charles, he didn’t think bringing their feud into the public eye was “worth it” – and even hopes that their battle will end soon, before he ends up blowing a gasket. “…I’m ready to just check out, because I don’t really care for another person to get involved with more drama,” PewDiePie said of the debacle, noting beauty mogul Jeffree Star’s involvement in the scandal. “…This is just annoying at this point. If this drags on, I’m just gonna get pissed off.” PewDiePie likewise sympathized with Tati for being hurt due to Charles’ brand deal with her direct competitor, SugarBearHair, but felt that she was “unjustified” in bringing their feud into the limelight, considering the massive damage done to Charles’ career and YouTube subscriber count. Charles himself thanked PewDiePie publicly for giving him advice during his video dissecting his initial apology to Tati, where he expressed major doubts that Charles would ever be able to come back from Tati’s damaging claims. @pewdiepie thank you felix for both of the videos that you made about the situation. meant a lot that you saw what was going on, and the advice in your second video was incredibly helpful and appreciated. love you — James Charles (@jamescharles) May 18, 2019 Despite PewDiePie’s fears, it seems that Charles is making a major comeback, after all, regaining subscribers at a rapid rate while both Tati and Jeffree Star’s channels have taken significant hits. Even major personalities like FaZe co-owner Ricky Banks have come out in support of Charles, with Banks directly asking Tati to reveal ‘Halo Beauty’s’ profits following the release of her initial video. Hey Tati, @GlamLifeGuru would it be too much to ask to share Halo Beautys sales report over the last month. I think we’d all appreciate/ like to know the impact this scandal had on your products success. If none of it was about vitamins then it really shouldn’t matter, right? — FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 18, 2019 While popular opinion appears to have taken Charles side, Star isn’t admitting defeat just yet, claiming to have “receipts” against Charles that will expose his “mass manipulation” – although the jury is still out, as he has yet to come forward with further statements against the young beauty guru as of the publication of this article.

PewDiePie explains how you can ‘troll’ the EU and avoid Article 13 – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains how you can ‘troll’ the EU and avoid Article 13 PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has revealed a way that people can completely avoid the European Union’s Article 13, after explaining the upcoming “big change” in online regulations during one of his videos. What is Article 13? The European Parliament voted to give Article 13 the green light on March 26, which has since been renamed Article 17, and is set to bring some major changes to copyright regulation for online content. It passed with votes of 348 votes to 274 and EU member states have up to two years to pass laws to put it into action. While discussing the impacts of the decision during one of his YouTube videos on April 4, Pewds sensationally revealed that he has a solution for people who disagree with its approval. “Article 13 has passed everyone. What we feared all along has become a reality,” he said. “The internet as we know it is gone. It’s obviously really upsetting.” Many people have suggested that the regulations could completely eradicate memes for Europeans on the internet, as they often use photos covered by copyright, but PewDiePie has offered people a way to avoid the change entirely. (PewDiePie discusses ‘Article 13’ for the first two minutes of the following video) PewDiePie offers ‘solution’ to Article 13 “That’s why I have a great deal for you guys,” he said, before breaking into laughter. “Honestly, we didn’t know that Article 13 was going to pass, but I’ve teamed up with NordVPN, which is an amazing VPN.” “That’s right, there’s a simple solution to all of this Article 13 mumbo-jumbo, VPNs baby!” he added. “Jokes on you, European legislators!” Read More: Top 20 most subscribed YouTube channels – For those who aren’t aware, a VPN is a virtual private network gives the public access to a private network, allowing people to browse without being tracked or monitored. PewDiePie explains why he wants Mark Zuckerberg to host Meme Review – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he wants Mark Zuckerberg to host Meme Review YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg revealed that the next guest he wants to host his iconic Meme Review series is none other than Facebook creator and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. PewDiePie’s ‘Meme Review’ has become an iconic stable of his YouTube channel, as the Swede takes on all the current popular memes on the internet, and breaks them down with scores. The show has become so popular, he’s even had Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and TV psychiatrist Dr Phil host the series. However, the YouTube king surprised his audience during his November 1 upload when he revealed that the next person he would want to host the series is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and had the most hilarious explanation for why he wants the tech-billionaire to react to memes. PewDiePie wants Zuckerbeg on Meme Review The YouTube star was reacting to the ‘rare insults’ subreddit, when one of the submissions was about the Facebook CEO’s infamous testimony to the US congress in 2018 that quickly became a source for memes. “Mark Zuckerberg looks like a guy in a zombie movie who’s been bitten, but is trying to keep a secret,” Pewds read out loud, before bursting into laughter. “It’s funny because it’s so accurate!” he exclaimed before reflecting on how much he misses the memes made about the tech giant. “I am so sad, that we scared Mark Zuckerberg out of the internet. That was such a beautiful time when he was a part of the internet you know?” After reminiscing about all the great memes that were created based on the Facebook owner, he then extended the offer to the CEO and pleaded, “I want him back! Zuck, please come back! You can be a part of Meme Review!” The YouTube king then quipped “His Facebook stock would go right up, please!” before inviting him once more. “Zuck you have my number, just call me any time. It will be the most beautiful redemption of all time!” (Timestamp of 01:34 for mobile viewers.) This wouldn’t be the first time that PewDiePie’s Meme Review has been hosted by a celebrity. The series has had Elon Musk and creator of Rick and Morty Justin Roiland in February, Dr Phil in August, and even conservative political pundit Ben Shapiro in 2018. Read More: Mr Beast spent $100,000 on lottery tickets – While the YouTuber’s channel exploded in popularity in 2019 after launching his Minecraft series in June, Pewds channel grew substantially over the years due to reaction series like Meme Review, Last Week I Asked You, and his now retired PewNews. Should he get the Facebook CEO, the memes would write themselves.

PewDiePie explains how spammers are exploiting his YouTube videos – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains how spammers are exploiting his YouTube videos PewDiePie / YouTubeTop YouTuber PewDiePie has explained why his videos no longer feature the highly requested subtitles option, blaming spammers and trolls for its removal. It was a perfect storm for Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg in the week of August 19-26, as he hit 100 million YouTube subscribers and married long-time partner Marzia. In his celebratory video, uploaded shortly before he and Marzia flew off for their honeymoon, Kjellberg scrolled through his personal subreddit – which also surpassed 2 million subscribers in the same week. One of the memes posted on the subreddit thanked “whoever does PewDiePie’s subtitles” after one attached ‘Happy Marzia noises’ when his now-wife was laughing on screen. However, as PewDiePie explains, he had to disable subtitles from his videos, as users were exploiting the system to promote their own channels on his viral videos. “Unfortunately, I had to turn off subtitles, because people keep promoting their own damn channels, it’s so annoying,” Kjellberg stated, “sorry if you rely on subtitles, I hope we can get it back soon.” Topic starts at 8:46 for mobile users. With a YouTube subscriber base ten-time the population of his home nation of Sweden, fans from all around the world tune in to PewDiePie’s videos and subtitles can be crucial for some of these viewers. However, YouTube’s system allows users to contribute translated content, explaining “You can submit content for an entire video or just add what you know. You can also fill in missing parts of other submissions. Every little bit helps.” This can, of course, be helpful, as automatic captioning is often flawed and will make errors in translating and subtitling speech. With such a popular channel, this is an obvious opportunity for aspiring YouTubers to plug their own channel link, and it appears that to curb this PewDiePie has simply had to remove the feature altogether. For smaller YouTubers, this likely isn’t an issue, but with videos that are guaranteed tens of millions of views, the Swedish star is a big target for any way aspiring creators can get their name out there.

PewDiePie explains why storming Area 51 actually “makes a lot of sense” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why storming Area 51 actually “makes a lot of sense” PewDiePie, YouTube / UnsplashYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg couldn’t help but admit that he believes the plans to storm Area 51 actually make a lot of sense in a hilarious video discussing the fact that 800,000 people have joined a Facebook group agreeing to give it a go. The Swedish YouTuber hosted his latest episode of Meme Review on July 15, where he discussed not just the plans for the public to invade the highly classified facility, but also memes involving Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and a number of other high profile names. As he guided viewers through some of the funniest social media posts based on the Area 51 plot, he couldn’t help but agree with the premise of the outlandish plans. 600“September 20… What are you doing?” he asked his audience, before continuing. “According to this Facebook group event, 841 thousand people are going to raid Area 51. That’s crazy. Storm Area 51, they can’t stop all of us? That actually makes a lot of sense!” Trying to contain the laughter, PewDiePie then moved on to read over the description of the group event, which might have been even funnier than his first take on the situation. (PewDiePie opens the following video with the ‘storming Area 51’ discussion) “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Let’s see them aliens,” he read from the Facebook page. Now, there’s a good chance that – much like many others across the world – that he also thinks that these plans are not just unlikely to happen, but pretty absurd as well. Yet, he didn’t reveal that in the video whatsoever. In fact, he agreed! “What? I mean, I can’t argue with these facts,” PewDiePie said. “It truly, truly, amazes me.” Now, while it’s highly unlikely that the plans will ever be put into action in September, PewDiePie never committed to joining the cause during the video. Instead, he showed fans some hilarious takes on the situation, collecting some of the best memes – as they would expect. 600The ‘Storming Area 51’ campaign has gone viral during the course of July and even now, with an official website and Facebook page being created to help inform others about what they plan to do later in 2019, it remains highly unlikely that it will ever come to fruition. Unless they all agree to ‘naruto running’ across the Nevada desert, of course.

PewDiePie explains how he’s now avoiding controversy – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains how he’s now avoiding controversy PewDiePie, YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has explained how he has now changed his approach to his career as a content creator, to avoid getting involved in any unnecessary drama online. PewDiePie has climbed to a new level of internet fame and is showing no signs of slowing, continuing to entertain fans with videos after becoming the first individual content creator to amass 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Despite his meteoric rise to the top, the Swedish star has not escaped drama during his time creating content on the platform and has been involved in a few controversies over the years. While he has not been involved in much drama as of late, PewDiePie reflected on some of his past mistakes during his video on June 11, answering questions that fans had asked about him on Quora. One fan asked why he has been involved in “so many controversies” and Kjellberg explained that he used to maintain a light-hearted approach when addressing controversial or serious topics in his content. “I’ve always had a very light-hearted take on serious topics,” he shared, “which was clear [that] someone that is as popular as I am should have seen that coming.” Topic starts at 14:13 “It was inevitable, does that make it right? Probably not but that doesn’t make me completely blameless either,” he continued, taking responsibility for some of his past errors. However, he has now revealed that he has shifted the way he handles more important issues and has been avoiding making similar mistakes in the future. “But now, no more controversy, he added, explaining that he was following a new “only epic” approach to making content, which seems to have been working out well so far. PewDiePie has even carried this approach into his new streaming career, where he recently raised over $106,000 for the BLM movement during one of his charity broadcasts. And, since taking his first lengthy break from YouTube, he has returned rejuvenated and creating fresh content, which has helped him maintain his top spot. Although, he may soon be overtaken by a dark-horse channel.

PewDiePie explains how Mr Beast is “pushing the boundaries” of YouTube – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains how Mr Beast is “pushing the boundaries” of YouTube YouTube: PewDiePie / Mr Beast[jwplayer smynPnSq]During his August 24 upload, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie Kjellberg was floored by Jimmy ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson’s insane $700k island contest. The Swedish star praised the American for “pushing the boundaries’ of content creation. PewDiePie, for many, has been the face of online entertainment for over a decade. The creator has risen from his humble roots in Sweden in 2010, to having over 106 million subscribers in 2020. During his latest upload, the star praised fellow personality Mr Beast for changing the way content is being created on YouTube. The 30-year-old explained how Donaldson is breaking new ground. PewDiePie praises Mr Beast after $700k island contest During his latest episode of Last Week I Asked You, PewDiePie discovered that Mr Beast had given away a $700k island for a contest on his channel. The personality hilariously found out that a contestant had lost because they weren’t subscribed to him. Curious, he pulled up Mr Beast’s video to watch it and broke into laughter when he saw the contestant getting eliminated. “Nooo! That’s what you get!” he yelled jokingly. “He lost because he wasn’t subscribed!” “If that’s not a good reason to subscribe to this channel RIGHT NOW, you could win an island. Literally! Can we talk about Mr Beast giving away a f**king island!?” he continued. Pewds then praised Donaldson and explained to viewers why the creator is groundbreaking. “Legit, he’s impressive. He’s pushing boundaries on YouTube that no one even knew there was. I love that. That is so f**king dope!” (Topic starts at 1:07) The YouTuber told all of his viewers to subscribe to the American, before joking, “Or else you won’t ever get a tambourine out of me! You understand?” In 2019’s viral PewDiePie vs T Series battle, the American went to extreme lengths to promote the Swedish entertainer. He even went to the Super Bowl and had his friends wear shirts that read “Sub 2 PewDiePie”, which was broadcasted on live television for millions of viewers. Considering that Kjellberg is the top individual content creator on YouTube with 106 million subs, his praise of Donaldson is quite the compliment. Mr Beast has continued to up his game as in October, he successfully launched the Team Trees campaign which saw over 20 million trees being planted around the world.

PewDiePie explains emotional decision to end ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains emotional decision to end ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement PewDiePie/YouTubeAs YouTube’s most-subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has seen mass support in his ongoing war against Bollywood music label T-Series – but their famed battle might be coming to an end. Kjellberg uploaded an emotional, four-minute-long video to YouTube on April 28, where he claimed that he wants to end the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ meme that has taken over the internet in response to his feud with T-Series. Kjellberg explained that the meme had become more than just a humorous tagline to support his channel, citing the vandalized World War II memorial in his name – as well as the words uttered by the Christchurch shooter on March 15. https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/pewdiepie-fans-take-t-series-youtube-competition-too-far-vandalize-wwii-memorial-436729Explaining his decision to end the meme once and for all “To have my name associated with something so unspeakably vile has affected me in more ways than I let show,” Kjellberg admitted, going on to explain that he hadn’t addressed the issue outside of Twitter out of respect for the victims, as well as to avoid giving attention to the terrorist. “To put it plainly, I didn’t want hate to win,” he continued. “But it’s clear to me now that the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement should have ended then. …This was all made to be fun. It’s clearly not fun anymore. It’s clearly gone too far.” T-Series’ controversial court order Kjellberg likewise addressed T-Series’ court order to have his diss tracks ‘Bitch Lasagna’ and ‘Congratulations’ removed from the platform altogether, claiming that he will leave the videos blocked in India out of respect for how things have gone “too far” with the meme. PewDiePie went on to address accusations of white nationalism associated with the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement, vehemently denouncing any claims of racism and stating that he “doesn’t support “any form of “racist comments or hate to anyone.” However, Kjellberg made sure to note that he feels “incredibly lucky” for his supporters and how far his channel has managed to grow during his feud with T-Series, claiming that he doesn’t want his race to 100 million subscribers to be about “beating another channel.” PewDiePie’s nearly six-month-long feud with the label has finally come to an end, following the release of Kjellberg’s ‘Congratulations’ diss track in late March, alongside the combined efforts of fans, YouTubers, and celebrities around the world.

PewDiePie explains why failed Area 51 raid was actually a “win” – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why failed Area 51 raid was actually a “win” YouTube: PewDiePie / PixabayDuring September 23 episode of ‘Meme Review’, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg joked about the Area 51 raid event that failed to live up to expectations, and explained why it wasn’t a complete write-off. A joke event posted on Facebook on June 27 got out of hand when millions of people signed up to ‘raid Area 51’ to see aliens. And despite being obviously comedic with its description that encouraged participants to “Naruto run” past military bullets, some people actually decided to show up in Nevada on September 20 where the military base is located. During the latest episode of Meme Review, PewDiePie gave his take on the whole event, as he reacted to memes that made fun of the raid and the people that actually turned up to storm the facility. Area 51 raid still “an absolute win” After setting the stage by explaining what the event was and the fact that millions of people claimed they were going to attend, the YouTuber said “This was expectation, and this is reality” as he reacted to the news that only a select few actually showed up Read More: Top 10 PewDiePie Minecraft moments so far – He then watched the infamous ‘Naruto runner’ clip which featurs a man who showed up for the raid, and ran behind a news anchor reporting on the scene like the anime character. “Well, what actually happened was one guy…” he started before he broke into laughter, trying to spin the news into a positive event. “Naruto ran in front of a news guy, and I see this as an absolute win!” (Timestamp of 01:05 for mobile viewers.) Despite many memes poking fun of the people that actually showed up in the desert, PewDiePie was a little bit more kind to some of them, when he reacted to a meme that said that anyone who showed up is a “fucking legend”. “I kind of have to agree. Like, well done” Pewds said, admiring those that went to great lengths to keep a ridiculous meme going. “Although if you live in Nevada you are not a legend. You’re just a local, let’s get real here.” PewDiePie’s final thoughts on Area 51 raid When another meme pointed out that people shouldn’t be mad that the raid wasn’t successful, the Swede interjected and laughed “Wait what did people think a successful raid would be? There wasn’t actually alien girls with alien pussy!” Read More: Who is Amouranth? The risqué Twitch streamer – The YouTube king then broke down his final thoughts on the Area 51 raid as a meme. “It definitely helped the fact that it had a deadline. Because all memes are just dead after a week. But thanks to the Facebook event, it had a pretty good longevity. It had a pretty good run. I’m happy with it. There was a good meme for once!” (Timestamp of 01:50 for mobile viewers.) While no aliens were seen, at least no one that showed up the desert managed to get hurt. And as the Swede said, the internet got some funny memes out of it. PewDiePie is currently the biggest independent content creator on the YouTube platform with over 101 million subscribers as of the time of this article.

PewDiePie explains bizarre way he plans to destroy Baby Yoda – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains bizarre way he plans to destroy Baby Yoda In another tantalizing episode of Meme Review, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has explained his true feelings on Baby Yoda and the subsequent meme shenanigans that have followed – and how he would destroy it once and for all. Meme Review is one of PewDiePie’s most popular video series — where he makes his opinion known on the most topical and popular memes, as one of the most knowledgeable names in meme culture. Now, with ‘Baby Yoda’ appearing in the Disney+ exclusive Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, the little green alien has taken the internet by storm as fans have fallen in love with the creature. Not everyone is a fan, though, and Pewds made it very clear in his episode of Meme Review on December 3 that he does not approve of its existence. Going into detail about how he would remove Baby Yoda from the internet once and for all, he says: “I would eat Baby Yoda, if that’s what it takes to get rid of him. “If someone came and knocked on my door right now and said: ‘Hey, we have Baby Yoda, we’ve buttered him up in oil, we’ve fermented him for three days straight, he’s still going to taste like sh*t, but if you eat him, he will go away forever,’ I wouldn’t even hesitate… I would inhale Baby Yoda.” Obviously, PewDiePie is joking. Or, maybe he’s not – as he seems quite genuinely annoyed at the existence of Baby Yoda – so may be willing to go to extreme lengths to rid the internet of it entirely. Elsewhere in the video, he refuses to even rate the “Oh, you like…?” memes, but is clearly not in favor of them, nor the examples showcased in the article he takes them from. Pewds also jokes at the expense of Papa John’s founder John Schnatter, who claimed that he had eaten 40 pizzas in 30 days. Recently, Baby Yoda has been unavoidable if you’re anywhere near the internet. Even Call of Duty League team, New York Subliners, used the meme to roast rival CDL team, Dallas Empire. Luckily for PewDiePie, memes don’t often last too long, so Baby Yoda will likely disappear in the next couple of weeks and be shunted to the back of the queue. Probably a much more sanitary solution than eating him.

PewDiePie explains why Dr Disrespect streaming in E3 bathroom wasn’t a “big deal” following ban – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why Dr Disrespect streaming in E3 bathroom wasn’t a “big deal” following ban YouTube: PewDiePie / Twitch: Dr DisrespectYouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg weighed in on Dr Disrespect‘s Twitch ban during his June 20 video, and explains why his bathroom streaming wasn’t a “big deal.” PewDiePie is well-known for giving his opinions on questionable topics, and has been embroiled in his own fair share of controversy himself. The Swedish star has now weighed in on Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban in his June 20 YouTube video, where he looked over laws and rules, and gave his opinion on the bathroom debacle. PewDiePie’s thoughts on Dr Disrespect In the video titled ‘We need to talk about these Oopsies’, the YouTuber explained the reason behind Doc’s ban, and talked about his streaming in a public bathroom being against Twitch’s Community Guidelines: “He clearly went against the rules and that’s just how it is.” “Obviously I understand why people want bathrooms to be a private space, and that should not be violated, I get it,” he continued, before breaking into laughter. “At the same time, I don’t see the big deal. What do people think happen in the boys’ locker room? I have never seen a penis in a boys’ locker room or a men’s bathroom. Unless you specifically [look], you’re not gonna see some pee-pee.” The Swede then addresses the E3 event’s policy itself, saying, “A lot of people have been saying ‘but there was a kid in one of their urinals, ahhhh!’ but checkmate, liberals – kids aren’t allowed at E3. Maybe you should try and ban him instead, huh?” PewDiePie moves on to look at California law section 647, a legislature that specifically talks about public privacy. It states that an individual is only guilty of misdemeanor if they deliberately violate another person’s reasonable expectation of privacy. “Was it Dr Disrespect’s intent to invade the privacy of a person in [the bathroom]? I think that’s arguable. From the footage of this, it’s just following him into the bathroom stall, it’s not trying to show other people.” (Dr Disrespect topic starts at 11:56 timestamp.) When will Dr Disrespect return to Twitch? There’s been no official word on when Twitch will let the Two-Time return to the platform, but according to a comment made by a fan on Reddit, TSM streamer and Doc’s frequent battle royals partner Colton ‘Viss’ Visser claimed that his ban is for 30 days. It is possible that Doc’s ban is permanent, as he heavily breached the service’s Community Guidelines, however this seems unlikely as this is the first time he has been reprimanded for breaking the platform’s rules. If Dr Disrespect has indeed been banned for 30 days, viewers could expect to see him back around July 10, although obviously this is just speculation. Hopefully we will see the Two-Time back on our screens soon for some more “violence, speed and momentum.”

PewDiePie trolls fans with 4K “Minecraft” VR video – Dexerto
PewDiePie trolls fans with 4K “Minecraft” VR video YouTube: PewDiePie / MojangYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg gave his fans the old bait and switch in his September 29 episode when instead of playing Minecraft in 4K ray tracing, he went on a rampage in Blade & Sorcery VR using weapons from the popular sandbox title. Mojang announced in August that they would be releasing an update for Minecraft on PC to allow users with Nvidia RTX series GPUs to enable ray tracing – which turns the sandbox title into a visually jaw-dropping experience. However, despite teasing his audience with a demonstration of the next-gen tech, PewDiePie trolled fans in his latest video by playing Blade & Sorcery in VR instead and going on an insane rampage using Minecraft mods. Minecraft with “real life” graphics After tricking his audience, the Swede began using his Minecraft pickaxe in the fantasy VR game, smacking it against rocks. “Wow it’s almost like the real thing!” he laughed. He then spawned a diamond sword, and continued to poke fun of the hype for RTX graphics in the game. “Damn these graphics are so good! This is gonna change Minecraft!” The YouTuber stuck his sword into an NPC violently, killing him, and said “I’ve always wanted to do that!” Things started to heat up when PewDiePie summoned one of his favorite weapons from his Minecraft series – the Trident. He began to wreak havoc by jabbing an NPC into the face with it. “Sit the freak down girl! I got the freakin Trident!” The YouTube star held the weapon in the air before jabbing an enemy in the knee with it. Things took a dark turn when the Swede spawned a diamond axe from the sandbox game, and began to hack the legs off a dead foe. “Chop!” he yelled as he took off the limbs and then re-arranged them as his arms. (Timestamp of 00:25 for mobile viewers.) PewDiePie recently passed 100 million subs on his YouTube channel on August 25, making him the biggest content creator on the video hosting platform. His daily Minecraft videos have played a central role in his channel’s insane growth since June. On September 7, the Swede revealed the 100 million subscriber Red Diamond Creator Award that YouTube had made for him after hitting the milestone. It included a letter from the CEO Susan Wojcicki who personally congratulated him. As of the time of this article, PewDiePie has amassed 101 million subscribers, and is quickly on his way to break 102 million by October 2019.

PewDiePie explains big problem with kids getting YouTube famous – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains big problem with kids getting YouTube famous YouTube, PewDiePieFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has revealed his biggest concerns with young children becoming “YouTube famous,” during a chat with Ken ‘CinnamonToastKen’ Morrison. Felix and Ken are serial uploaders on the video-sharing platform, with 11 and 10 years under their belts respectfully. Just a few years after starting YouTube, the duo started their own series on MLG.tv called ‘BroKen’ and have filmed together since. The duo’s most recent collaboration, titled ‘Spoiled kids needs to be stopped,’ showcased the children of mainstream celebrities and how much their parents spend on them. On the topic of young children becoming YouTube famous, they both have a problem with it. PewDiePie explains the big problem While learning about the life of Prince George, the two seemed to be baffled when thinking about how many items and how much money Prince William has given his son. Just after the video ended, CinnamonToastKen brought up the topic of watching YouTube kids with his children: “We always avoid the ones where it’s a kid playing with toys.” PewDiePie responded: “Yeah, those are weird. I’ve criticized those types of creators before and they acted like such victims about it.” The YouTuber voiced his opinion of Ryans Toy Review, with a video back in 2017. Kjellberg continued to explain that if a child is making more money than the parents, that’s problems can arise: “you’re gonna put this crazy pressure on the kid to keep performing, even though they may not feel like they want to.” (Comments begin at 8:02 in the video below) CinnamonToastKen explained that he always hears “but they’re having so much fun” from parents of YouTube famous children, yet both creators agree that often it may actually be the child wanting the approval of their parent. Earlier this year, Pewds uploaded a now-deleted Cocomelon diss-track after their YouTube channel passed him in subscribers. Whether or not some of the children, or even their parents respond, remains to be seen.

PewDiePie embarrassed after fans vote him off “undercover” reality show after first round – Dexerto
PewDiePie embarrassed after fans vote him off “undercover” reality show after first round YouTube: Jubilee / PewDiePieFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg may the biggest individual content creator on YouTube, but not even he could trick his own fans. The 31-year-old was stunned when viewers voted him out during a Jubilee Odd Man Out contest called 6 Bros vs 1 Secret PewDiePie. Subscribers of PewDiePie know that the Swede is obsessed with YouTube channel Jubilee. After reacting to their content for the past year, the 31-year-old finally got to collaborate with their popular Odd Man Out reality show on May 21. The star was left stunned when he found himself being voted out of the contest within the first round. Kjellberg was hilariously unable to trick his own army of bros who quickly sniffed out who the online entertainer was pretending to be. PewDiePie loses 6 Bros vs 1 Secret PewDiePie contest In Jubilee’s Odd Man Out, seven contestants have a conversation in chat but can not see each other. The group then has to decide who the imposter is among them. For the May 21 episode, PewDiePie was invited on where he had to blend in as one of his “fans.” Pewds made his first major mistake when he admitted he was from London. When one fan admitted that the YouTuber’s videos helped him get over a breakup in 2017, Kjellberg wrote “so cool” before immediately realizing how obvious his response was. “OH NO! WHY DID I WRITE THIS!” The six fans quickly picked up on his answers as the round ended. “It’s so weird being a Jubileee video, they always seemed like they had so much time. It went by like that,” the 31-year-old replied. The six fans then proceeded to vote him out. “Nooooooo!” PewDiePie screamed while rolling back in his chair. “Maybe picking London was too obvious. S**t. I should have gone like Los Angeles or something. Well done bros, well done!” (Topic starts at 1:50) Despite losing, the YouTube star took it in stride, laughing it off. He was also stunned by how good his fans were at playing the game when one player knew which mobile device brand he uses. “These guys are playing 4D chess over here! I didn’t even know you can see if you have an iPhone [in the contest]!” Fans of the entertainer were floored by the experience. “I was trying not to get emotional this whole time. He is my favorite YouTuber and he has inspired me so much,” Kassidy said after winning. “He is humble. That is one of PewDiePie’s most shining qualities,” Tyler exclaimed. While he was shocked to get voted out first, Pewds seemed genuinely proud of his fans. And to be fair, given that he has over 110 million subscribers in 2021, it would be hard to not get noticed. The content creator ended the show by challenging Mr Beast to do the contest next. Only time will tell if he accepts.

PewDiePie emotional after finally moving to Japan two years since his announcement – Dexerto
PewDiePie emotional after finally moving to Japan two years since his announcement Instagram: PewDiePieYouTube king PewDiePie has officially moved to Japan, announcing the news in a tear-jerking vlog nearly two and half years after first announcing his relocation. Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is YouTube’s most-subscribed independent content creator. The Swede lived in the United Kingdom for some time after rising to prominence as a YouTuber, but in Fall 2019, announced his intentions to move to Japan. This major relocation didn’t come as a shock to fans; Kjellberg is a noted enthusiast of Japanese culture, and has visited Japan many times in the past. However, the global health crisis put his move on pause for two years. During that time, PewDiePie’s house in Japan was broken into and robbed, and the country’s closed borders due to health concerns prevented him from making the jump. In May 2022, this changed. On May 9, PewDiePie uploaded a vlog with the big reveal: He and his wife Marzia, along with their two pugs, are finally in Japan. Kjellberg’s vlog takes viewers through the arduous process of securing their Visas and other necessities to move to another country, as well as the difficulties of flying with pets. (The couple refused to put their pugs in cargo, so ended up using a private jet.) While the video is mostly upbeat, PewDiePie’s realization that he and Marzia had finally made their dream come true brought tears to his eyes as they were driven to their new home. “Obviously, it’s been a really long journey, but I really, really appreciate everyone who was supportive of us going,” he said near the end of his video. “It just meant a lot that people were cheering for us, you know?” “It feels amazing to be here, finally. …I can’t wait for the next chapter of our lives.”

PewDiePie “doesn’t understand” how he came back from T-Series’ massive victory – Dexerto
PewDiePie “doesn’t understand” how he came back from T-Series’ massive victory PewDiePie, YouTube / T-SeriesYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been locked in an ongoing battle against Bollywood label T-Series for the most subscribers – but his #1 spot has been slowly slipping away. PewDiePie vs. T-Series – will it ever end? T-Series overtook the YouTuber by a whopping 30,000 subscribers on March 20, prompting many fans following their duel to speculate that Felix’s reign as the site’s top channel could be over for good. Despite this grim development, PewDiePie managed to climb his way back up to the top – although he later admitted that he didn’t understand how T-Series had managed such a massive increase in subscribers. [Timestamp: 1:37 for mobile viewers] “They were 30,000 ahead,” PewDiePie said of his comeback during an episode of ‘LWIAY’ on March 22. “I don’t know how we did it. I don’t understand how this works anymore.” How T-Series almost beat PewDiePie It was later discovered that T-Series’ massive jump in subs was due to a video that had gone viral on the channel. The video in question is a trailer for the label’s new movie ‘PM Narendra Mori’, which skyrocketed to five million views in under 16 hours, and now has over 13 million views as of March 22. PewDiePie was overtaken once more on March 22, although he predictably surpassed his nemesis and now sits over 12,000 subscribers over T-Series. The YouTuber went on to thank his audience for their continued support in his battle, and reminded fans that he would relinquish the race after reaching 100 million subs – which he is just a mere 10 million away from achieving.

PewDiePie disses Logan Paul’s response to battle with T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie disses Logan Paul’s response to battle with T-Series PewDiePie, Logan Paul – YouTubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is in a close race with Bollywood label T-Series to gain the most subscribers on the platform. While many YouTubers have come out in support of Pewd’s cause, one controversial figure caught some major flak from the Swede due to his efforts. Social media star Logan Paul came to PewDiePie’s aid after Pewds called on him for help during an episode of ‘LWIAY’ on December 5. In his response video to Pewd’s challenge, Paul claimed that he will donate one Swedish Krona to a charity of his choice for every subscriber gained through a special, trackable link in the video’s description. Additionally, Paul required that Pewds wear an article of Maverick merch in one of his upcoming videos, claiming that he’d sent a hoodie to the YouTuber’s home address. However, Pewds claimed that he had given him the address to a Swedish craft shop, instead, as he didn’t know why Paul was initially asking for the information. Pewds even went on to throw some shade at Paul’s efforts during a ‘Pew News’ video on December 9, comparing the sub gap between his channel and that of T-Series during the time of Paul’s efforts to those of popular YouTuber Markiplier, who went live in a stream on December 3 and managed to save his channel from being overtaken by T-Series at the very last minute. “But then again, you look at the graph and you see the sub gap, and it’s not even nearly as impactful as the Markiplier one,” PewDiePie noted. While Pewds appeared to take issue with the timing of Paul’s video, he agreed to wear his merch, nevertheless – despite never making a promise to do so, in the first place.

PewDiePie accuses Tati of using James Charles drama to sell her products – Dexerto
PewDiePie accuses Tati of using James Charles drama to sell her products YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg says he has major issues with the way Tati Westbrook handled the James Charles feud, arguing that she was unjustified in her response. PewDiePie has been avoiding all forms of controversy since ending his battle for YouTube supremacy with T-Series, and had stopped his news show ‘Pew News’ altogether, but has brought it back specifically to address the major drama between Jame Charles and Tati. In his comeback installment of “Pew News”, simply titled “James Charles in cancelled”, PewDiePie recaps Tati Westbrook’s trending exposing video, weighing in on the drama. He began by briefly summing up the details of Tati’s “Bye Sister” exposing video, before saying he was surprised James Charles was receiving so much backlash, arguing, “I looked into it and the whole makes even less sense…A lot of people are just latching onto that [Tati’s stance], just to shit on James Charles.” Then, after listening to Tati’s reasoning for going public with the exposing video, PewDiePie explained that he did not think it was a reasonable excuse to take the feud public, adding, “I’m not here to defend James Charles, I just don’t think what Tati did is that justified” PewDiePie went on to highlight the age difference between the two beauty stars, stating he was concerned with the fact that the situation could not be handled privately, “For a mother figure to completely drag this kid, No one has a problem with this?” Topic starts at 10:23 for mobile users He then went on to describe his own experiences involving controversy with other YouTubers in the past and explained his simple method for handling drama, “Either we talk it out in private or I stop being friends with that person,” He expressed, “I can’t imagine making a video just publicly dragging someone instead of talking to them.” PewDiePie later suggested that Tati’s reasoning for going public with the video was to indirectly advertise her own supplement company, which she discussed for lengthy period in her exposing video, “What has that to do with Tati’s brands?” Felix said, “This is an ad.” while laughing to himself. Despite being highly critical of Tati Westbrook and her reasonings for going public, PewDiePie ended the video by stating that he was neutral in the feud and he felt that they both ‘exposed’ themselves.

PewDiePie discovers major “loophole” in race to 100 million subs against T-Series – Dexerto
PewDiePie discovers major “loophole” in race to 100 million subs against T-Series PewDiePie, YouTube / T-SeriesThe battle between YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and Bollywood label T-Series continues to escalate – but one fan may have found a major loophole in their race to 100 million subscribers. PewDiePie showed a Discord conversation between two fans in his subreddit during an episode of ‘LWIAY’ on April 25, one of which claimed that T-Series wouldn’t be the first channel to reach 100 million subscribers on the platform. Instead, it looks as if YouTube’s ‘Music’ category has achieved that milestone ahead of both channels, sitting at over 105 million subscribers – rendering T-Series’ eventual “victory” null and void. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-9-kyTW8ZkZNDHQJ6FgpwQPewDiePie’s reaction to the “loophole” Thus, T-Series wouldn’t be the first corporation to reach such a milestone, making PewDiePie the very first independent YouTuber to hit 100 million subscribers on the site. Despite his seemingly guaranteed victory, Kjellberg appeared to doubt the reality of reaching such a milestone, as shown in his humorous reaction to the news. [Timestamp: 0:22 for mobile viewers] “Holy heck, guys, this changes everything!” PewDiePie jokingly said of the development. “‘Oh my god, we win by default’ – but we still have to hit 100 million.” T-Series bans PewDiePie’s diss tracks in India T-Series made a major comeback despite the success of PewDiePie’s ‘Congratulations’ diss track in late March, and now sits at a whopping 950,000 subscribers above Kjellberg as of April 25. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVxU2HzPGugIn fact, T-Series pursued a court order against the YouTuber in an effort to remove his diss tracks from the platform for good – and even blocked the songs altogether in India. T-Series’ legal action likely has to do with PewDiePie’s accusations as stated in ‘Congratulations,’ where he accused chairman Bhushan Kumar of having ties to the Indian mafia and dug up allegations of sexual assault against the director (which were dropped in early 2019). That’s not all; PewDiePie likewise accused T-Series of getting its start by providing pirated songs – a claim that T-Series called “abusive, vulgar, and also racist in nature“ in their alleged court order against Kjellberg. Jake Paul steps in to help PewDiePie’s latest discovery regarding his race against T-Series follows controversial YouTuber Jake Paul’s trip to the label’s HQ a few days beforehand. Although Paul didn’t actually end up infiltrating the company’s main building, his presence (wearing a ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ T-shirt, no less) boosted Kjellberg above T-Series in a big way.

PewDiePie discusses his net worth and why he’s not quitting YouTube – Dexerto
PewDiePie discusses his net worth and why he’s not quitting YouTube YouTube King Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has discussed his net worth and what he does with his money, in a revealing Q & A uploaded on December 28. While much of PewDiePie’s YouTube content is fairly tongue-in-cheek and humorous, he decided a diversion from this was necessary on December 28. It was a stark departure from his recent content, such as his hilarious struggles on Jump King. His video, entitled ‘Answering Very Personal Questions’, saw the Swede address a number of private topics, including his net worth, his views on how the media cover his activities, and where he sees himself in the future. “What’s your actual net worth?” asked one fan. “You’ve hinted at it being higher than what Google says and what do you do with that money? Do you have it invested in stocks and bonds? Could you give us a brief overview of what you do with your money?” Despite the personal nature of the question, Pewds didn’t back down from answering. He explained that his finances are currently fairly “messy” – having split his assets between Sweden and the UK. PewDiePie also pointed out his aversion to owning masses of commodities: “I have some [money] invested in stocks and bonds,” he said. “I think, overall, I don’t really spend it on anything… I don’t like having things around me – I find it very annoying.” He continued his response by saying that the media “likes to” undervalue his net worth as he has become “more controversial”. PewDiePie confirmed that his net worth is bigger than Forbes’ recent valuation – an eye-watering $13 million: “They [the media] always seem to put me lower now. That’s what I’m saying, it is bigger [than their valuations]”. “At the same time, it doesn’t matter!” he finished. “Who cares? It’s so unimportant. I don’t know what’s important to me – it’s not money.” Alongside his unprecedented success, Kjellberg has also found himself wrapped up in various ‘controversies’, which he also discusses, explaining that it has made some difficulties for him with brand deals and affiliations. There was even a petition for YouTube to remove Pewds’ channel from its platform, garnering over 90,000 signatures. Needless to say he was not removed, and it doesn’t appear that his net worth has been affected too much by the controversies. Despite being incredibly wealthy, Pewds doesn’t appear to be letting his money go to his head, emphasizing that he is not interested in owning lots of items. PewDiePie quitting YouTube? Away from his controversies and net worth, Pewds answered questions pertaining to his future and how mainstream-media coverage affects his life. However, he has made clear that he only plans to take a short break, and still loves making content for YouTube, calling it the “dream job”. For now, he is dedicated to his channel and still has the same passion for making videos as he always had. The Q&A was a nice change of pace for the Swedish YouTuber, seeing him put a personal spin on a well-established video format.

PewDiePie “disappointed” after Jenna Marbles is “bullied off” YouTube – Dexerto
PewDiePie “disappointed” after Jenna Marbles is “bullied off” YouTube YouTube: PewDiePie, Jenna Marbles[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg spoke out about Jenna Marbles quitting YouTube in a lengthy rant on June 26, claiming he’s “disappointed” with the internet for “bullying” her off the Google-owned platform. On June 25, Marbles uploaded a tearful 11-minute video where she addressed controversy surrounding older content uploaded in 2011. She apologized for racist behavior she’d exhibited in the past, and explained that it was “inexcusable” – despite it not being her intention at the time to offend anybody. The 33-year-old ended her apology by stating that she was “going to move on from [the] channel for now.” Fans of the comedian were stunned over her decision to leave, with many – including PewDiePie – taking the stance that she was seemingly pressured into leaving the platform over her past videos, and that her past behavior doesn’t reflect who she is now. The Swedish personality shared his thoughts on his YouTube Community Page to air how “disappointed” he was over the situation. PewDiePie speaks out about Jenna Marbles On June 26, a day after Marbles uploaded her video, PewDiePie shared his thoughts on what happened in a lengthy text post rant. “Jenna Marbles was one of the most genuinely good people on this platform and now she gets bullied off the site by mistakes that happened 8-10 years ago.. Who cares?” he wrote. “These actions reflect in no way who she is and the content she makes today, anyone who watches her can see that,” he continued, before going on to state that “we all have problems in our past” and “no one in the world is perfect.” “This site will be filled with nothing but douchetubers who don’t care, while the people who do, gets pushed out. So disappointed with the internet and how far things have gotten,” he finished. Earlier on the same day, the 30-year-old shared similar sentiments in his own YouTube video, and addressed online drama and his thoughts on the topic. “It’s like someone new is getting cancelled every day today,” he said. “…Small things seem to be so big online. And it makes me feel like people are just miserable. It makes me feel bad. I feel like if I could change one thing, it would be for people to just be happier. Because then people wouldn’t get so worked up over these insignificant things all the time.” He also talked about his own experience with having to use disclaimers for jokes in his content. “I do. People clearly take jokes out context as weapons against them. Thats the world we live in. It is what it is.” (Topics start at 12:01, 13:01, and 14:06.) While PewDiePie is usually sarcastic in his humor, it appears as though Jenna Marbles’ sudden exit from the platform really rubbed the Swede the wrong way in order to spur such a passionate post about the topic on his Community Page. It is currently unknown whether the YouTube comedian will be returning to the platform in the future. She stated that she “needs to be done” with her channel “for now, or maybe forever.”

PewDiePie stunned after Marvel Minecraft mod goes wrong – Dexerto
PewDiePie stunned after Marvel Minecraft mod goes wrong YouTube: PewDiePie / MarvelIn his October 4 Minecraft episode, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg teamed up with Sean ‘Jacksepticeye‘ McLoughlin where a Marvel joke led to them installing an Infinity Gauntlet mod – but their quest to bring balance to the sandbox title went south. PewDiePie has started to branch out with his Minecraft series ever since defeating the sandbox game’s final boss, and now the Swede has began experimenting with mods. During his latest co-op session with fellow YouTube star Jacksepticye, the duo decided to install a Marvel mod that gave them the ability to create the Infinity Gauntlet from the wildly popular Avengers films, but things went wrong when the Thanos’ weapon failed to deliver. Bringing balance to Minecraft The two were out adventuring, when the Irish YouTube star joked “you’re horse might have broken ankles by the time it gets here” as their trip left injuries to their mounts. Pewds shot back “that’s fine, you’rs too” which caused Jakesepticye to laugh, before he quipped “as long as it’s balanced, Thanos will be happy”. The exchange then gave the Irish gamer a great idea. “We should make Thanos in Minecraft! Build a giant gauntlet!” he exclaimed. Pewds then informed him that there was in fact a mod for it. (Timestamp of 11:08 for mobile viewers.) PewDiePie then installed the mod and was excited as his character equipped the gauntlet, before he started to question what it actually could do. “Why can’t I Thanos you, Jack?” he asked, as he clicked the Irish YouTuber, and nothing happened. He then tried to use it on a Creeper before the enemy blew up on the Swede, killing him. After respawning the YouTube king figured out what its powers were. “Give me the Gauntlet, I’ll show you what it does. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen. This is so disappointing!” he said. Pewds walked up to an enemy and pointed his cursor at his head, and instead of making him disappear like the movies, it changed into a purple rendition of the Marvel villain, turning Minecraft enemies into little versions of Thanos. This caused Jacksepticeye to burst into laughter. “This is so stupid! He looks like a little grape man,” he exclaimed as the Gauntlet failed to live up to expectations (Timestamp of 21:40 for mobile viewers.) Minecraft collaborations The YouTube king continues to dominate on the video hosting platform with his Minecraft series, as he’s quickly blown past 100 million subscribers – a milestone he reached on August 25. However, after beating the vanilla version of the sandbox game, his videos have opened up to mods and crazy experiments in the sandbox title, which he often does when collaborating with other personalities. Jacksepticeye is also one of the most popular gamers on YouTube, as his friendship with PewDiePie goes back to 2013 when the Swede did a shout-out contest which the Irish gamer won. The brief mention kickstarted his channel, and the two have become close friends since. As of the time of this article, PewDiePie is at 101 million subscribers and is swiftly on track to break 102 million. His close friend and collaborator is at 22.8 million subscribers.

PewDiePie delivers heartfelt message of gratitude over Minecraft success – Dexerto
PewDiePie delivers heartfelt message of gratitude over Minecraft success YouTube: PewDiePie / MojangYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg uploaded his first update vlog in a while on August 18, where he addressed the success Minecraft has brought to his channel, and how he’s really happy about it. PewDiePie’s channel has seen massive growth since June after he started his wildly popular Minecraft series, which has pushed him closer to breaking the 100 million subscriber milestone. On August 18, the Swede took a break and uploaded a personal update video, where he reflected on his career, and addressed the success his Minecraft series has brought him. Minecraft has been a huge success The YouTube king started out the video addressing that his channel has been taken over by Minecraft. “I don’t know if you noticed this, but the channel has undergone some changes lately,” he joked before scrolling over his past videos showing nothing but the sandbox game. Pewds then said that he loved the fact that the game has become the center of his channel, and that it’s been a positive force. “Minecraft has completely taken over, and I gotta say I absolutely love it and it’s just been so fun. There’s just been so much positivity with the channel, and all the content and people just wanting more videos.” The Swede then talked about how every YouTuber wants to find something that they love to do, and is popular. And then explained that the game has hit both of those things. “Sometimes you hit one or two of them, but with Minecraft it’s just been everything”. Falling in love with YouTube again Pewds reflected back on his early YouTube days, and explained that it was him playing Amnesia that made him fall in love with being a YouTuber at first. He then got emotional when he said that playing Minecraft brought him back to that passion again. “So to be here again, doing the same thing like with Minecraft, having that moment when I started off, I never thought I would relive that ever. I never thought I would experience that again and I’m so happy.” The YouTuber said that he felt that he had come “full circle” with his channel, before reflecting on his career including past controversies. “Coming back to gaming this way and looking back, it’s been a rocky road, and I appreciate everyone sticking through with me, throughout all the controversies. Looking back at it, I now feel very stupid about it, and how a lot of it just wasn’t worth it.” He then apologized, and said “I’m sorry for all the bad things I’ve done” before following it up with a joke to break the serious moment with laughter: “I just want to play Minecraft please!” PewDiePie finished by saying that he’s proud of the Minecraft videos he’s made: “Like the Wither episode, or the one with Sven’s wedding. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to say that I’m really proud of a video.” (Timestamp of 00:25 for mobile viewers.) PewDiePie is quickly closing in on hitting his 100 million subscriber milestone, with almost 99.4 million on August 18.

PewDiePie Destroys Ali-A in a Video About Fortnite Clickbait – Dexerto
PewDiePie Destroys Ali-A in a Video About Fortnite Clickbait The fact that Fortnite: Battle Royale has become such a popular video game has led many popular gaming content creators to use it as a major source of content for their videos and streams. One such person is popular YouTuber ‘Ali-A,’ who transitioned from being one of the biggest names in Call of Duty content creation to becoming a force in the Fortnite section of YouTube gaming. However, ‘Ali-A’ has recently been under scrutiny by many for using a tactic known as ‘clickbait,’ which essentially means that he is using certain titles and thumbnails to mislead people into clicking on his videos. The latest to roast him is fellow YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, whose 62 million subscribers are the most on the website. On May 14th, PewDiePie released a video in which he analyzes and subsequently makes fun of the various instances of Ali-A’s clickbaiting tactics. Right off the bat, the video starts with the same classic intro that Ali-A uses in his videos, along with an edited clip in which he confesses something about himself in a video. The video then continues with PewDiePie starting his spiel about the state of Fortnite content on YouTube. “A few weeks ago I made a video on Fortnite and nothing has changed, basically it’s still the same. The absolute state of YouTube gaming is very much stil ‘aaaaaaaaa.’ The YouTuber then goes on to look at the thumbnails of Ali-A’s videos, many of which display facial expressions of surprise and anticipation. “I love these thumbnails, they’re so good. It’s basically the SOI boy equivalent of a thumbnail.” He continues by taking a look at two videos which indicate that various superheros are in Fortnite, which they are obviously not. “You know here we have a video called ‘The Superman Challenge.’ Wow! Superman is in Fortnite?! Oh you best watch 25 minutes to find out! Oh, oh I guess there isn’t. Oh what?! The Flash is in Fortnite? Nope, no it isn’t. The Hulk?! The Hulk is in Fortnite! I must watch this 22 minute and 35 seconds video right now! He goes on to do the same thing with some of the videos that use the “What’s inside ________?!” variety of clickbait titles and images. “If we’re talking about what’s inside things. Here we have ‘Opening the bunker, What’s inside?’ What I want to know is what’s inside Ali-A’s hat? I mean, he’s wearing it in every single video. He must be hiding something underneath there. Ah, what could it be? I have some ideas, but I will keep them to myself.” All in all, PewDiePie believes that the reason why so many YouTubers, like Ali-A, are resorting to this level is because that is the best level of content they can deliver. “This is not clickbait guys. This is what the content is. It’s reflecting the content.” – You can watch the entirety of PewDiePie’s video down below, or on his official YouTube channel.

PewDiePie explains why he hates Twitter before deleting his account – Dexerto
PewDiePie explains why he hates Twitter before deleting his account YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg abruptly deleted his Twitter account on December 16 after uploading a video explaining why the social media platform has become a “cesspool.” Fresh off his announcement that he would be taking a break from YouTube in 2020, PewDiePie uploaded a video essay harshly criticizing Twitter, and then deleted his account. The Swedish star argued that the social media platform had become a “cesspool” due to people trying to take down others for virtue points, before his account went offline. PewDiePie deletes Twitter account The Swedish star has been on a roll this week taking corporations to task, first criticizing YouTube’s new harassment policy, and then uploading a seven minute essay explaining why he hates Twitter. However, Pewds shocked fans when he followed up his video by removing his Twitter account without any warning, before re-activating it so that no one would take his account name. “I don’t use Twitter, this account is just to prevent fake accounts,” his Twitter page currently reads at this time of writing, with all his previous tweets now gone. The last tweets made by the YouTuber before taking his account offline were pictures of mainstream media’s coverage of his announcement of his break from YouTube in 2020, which showed most outlets focusing on his past controversies. In his video essay uploaded to YouTube an hour before, the popular entertainer stated that he “hates Twitter” and argued that “virtue signaling” was the cause for the platform becoming awful. “You get rewarded for saying things that make you seem virtuous, rather than acting on it. It explains why the site has become such a cesspool of opinions,” he said. “And how more often than not those that boast about being virtuous often through hiding are not. There are so many YouTubers I could call out.” (Timestamp 00:06 for mobile users.) PewDiePie continued to use his love of philosophy to explain why he doesn’t like Twitter, citing Aristotle, before he exclaimed “F**k Twitter!” and flashed a picture of the dictionary definition of virtue signaling to end his video. This comes off the heels of the YouTube star revealing he was “tired” and had decided to take a break in 2020. The Swede seems worn down by the unpopular changes social media companies continue to make.

PewDiePie deletes videos after fans claim YouTuber JacksFilms copied him – Dexerto
PewDiePie deletes videos after fans claim YouTuber JacksFilms copied him PewDiePie, JacksFilms / YouTubeWhile YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has become a self-certified “Minecraft YouTuber,” the Swede is also known for such shows as “Meme Review” and “Last Week I Asked You” – a show that has met another YouTuber with serious backlash. John “Jacksfilms” Douglass is a popular creator on the platform, boasting well over four million subscribers at the time of writing and having a storied history with the site – but a number of PewDiePie fans aren’t happy with some of Douglass’s content. The YouTuber Tweeted his frustrations about a group of PewDiePie’s fans accusing him of copying Kjellberg’s show, “Last Week I Asked You” (generally shortened to “LWIAY”), in comparison to Douglass’s own “Yesterday I Asked You” (“YIAY”) segment. However, Douglass’s “YIAY” show precedes PewDiePie’s “LWIAY” by several years, with the first episode airing on February 3 of 2015 – a fact that he made sure to mention in his Tweet on the subject. “It’s extra frustrating because not only did I address it in a video last year, but so did Pewds, and he even urged his viewers to ‘check the dates’ if they didn’t believe him/me,” Douglass wrote. “Nothing works lol.” It’s extra frustrating because not only did I address it in a vid last year, but so did pewds, and he even urged his viewers to “”check the dates”” if they didn’t believe him/me. Nothing works lol weeeeee — jacksfilms (@jacksfilms) August 14, 2019 PewDiePie took notice of the issue and replied to Douglass’s Tweet, apologizing for the drama and claiming that he’d deleted his videos poking fun at the situation, as things had gotten out of hand. “Damn, I think one of my older videos got put in recommended by YouTube and that’s why,” Kejllberg responded. “I took down any videos joking about it because clearly this is too far. Sorry bruv.” Ah shit dude I didn’t mean for you to delete anything! I know you’ve gone out of your way to explain the joke before. I’m guessing these comments came from newer Tseries/Minecraft subs who didn’t know the “”lore”” — jacksfilms (@jacksfilms) August 14, 2019 Despite the chaos, JacksFilms was generally understanding of the issue, noting that the recent wave of backlash was likely due to “newer T-Series/Minecraft subs who didn’t know the ‘lore.’” While PewDiePie’s “LWIAY” and “Meme Review” shows are hits with fans, the YouTuber has since returned to his roots in video games, uploading consistent Minecraft videos to become what he calls a certifiable “Minecraft YouTuber.” Sitting at over 99 million subscribers, the Swede is well on his way to reaching his coveted 100 million subscriber goal – although exactly when he will pass the milestone is up in the air.

PewDiePie defends Elon Musk after backlash for Tesla price change meme – Dexerto
PewDiePie defends Elon Musk after backlash for Tesla price change meme YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie Kjellberg defended Elon Musk during his October 18 upload. The Swedish star hit out at those getting upset over the Tesla CEO’s viral meme about changing the price of the Model S. [jwplayer IX7jLp7f] The one thing PewDiePie and Elon Musk have in common is their love of memes. The YouTube star even had the tech giant host an episode of his popular Meme Review show back in 2019 that has over 26 million views. The Tesla CEO faced backlash from critics in October after tweeting that the Model S price was being changed to $69,420. The YouTuber defended the billionaire during his latest upload, and argued that people can’t take a joke. PewDiePie defends Elon Musk’s Model S meme During his October 18 episode of Last Week I Asked You, Pewds addressed the criticism Elon Musk received from some over a tweet he made on October 14 about the Model S price change. “I saw some people being so butthurt over this. It’s like, dude, it’s just a joke. I’m sure Elon knows it’s ironic,” he said, before he jokingly imitated critics in a baby voice. “So childish, he’s like a 12-year old! … Yeah, that’s the joke! Ever hear of fun?” The creator then applauded the CEO for being attuned to meme culture: “You just want another overweight, gray-haired, boomer billionaire? I don’t. I think we have enough of that!” (Topic starts 05:27) The tweet that PewDiePie was referencing was made on October 14 when Musk posted, “The gauntlet has been thrown down! The prophecy will be fulfilled. Model S price changes to $69,420 tonight!” The joke exploded on the social media platform, instantly going viral with over 330k likes and 35k retweets. While many found the meme to be hilarious, some critics hit out at the CEO for being irresponsible with the company’s prices. The gauntlet has been thrown down! The prophecy will be fulfilled. Model S price changes to $69,420 tonight! — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 14, 2020 This isn’t the only time PewDiePie has defended Elon. In past uploads, the 30-year-old has admitted to viewers that he’s admired the tech CEO for his innovations while still being wired into internet culture. With Kjellberg being so fond of the tech giant, maybe the Tesla owner will someday return as a guest host on Meme Review. Maybe the Swede could also convince the billionaire to show up for a round of Among Us – now that would be entertainment gold.

PewDiePie defends fan who recorded him during pop-up shop meet and greet – Dexerto
PewDiePie defends fan who recorded him during pop-up shop meet and greet YouTube: PewDiePieYouTube star PewDiePie came to his fan’s defense after they recorded him helping out at his wife Marzia’s pop-up shop last month. PewDiePie is the most-subscribed independent content creator on YouTube. The OG influencer has been gaming on the platform for 12 years, and has a substantial fanbase of over 111 million subscribers to show for it. As such, it’s no surprise that he might get recognized in public from time to time. This is especially true when he attends a convention or other event where fans are invited. Most recently, this occurred during a pop-up shop for his wife, Marzia’s, pottery store. The pop-up took place from March 19-24 in Brighton, UK, where he and Marzia are living until they eventually move to Japan. Of course, the event garnered some buzz and fans of Marzia and her products streamed into the store to get some goodies — including one fan who recorded a small snippet of their experience at the shop. View this post on Instagram The video shows Felix helping Marzia out by restocking shelves with various ceramic pots as customers waited in line to check out. The fan uploaded the short video to Reddit, humorously captioning the clip: “Not me crying because I finally met Pewds.” Unfortunately, the video wasn’t met with positivity, as one commenter claimed it was “kinda weird to just record someone.” “If you ever see him again just say hi, he might be an inspiration to all of us but at the end of the day he’s a person and I’m pretty sure he’d prefer to be treated as one,” they wrote. The comment garnered over 2.1k likes, showing that many fans were in agreement. PewDiePie defends fan who recorded him in pop-up shop However, Pewds had a different take on the situation, saying that it’s totally fine in certain situations to record and clarifying that the fan had, in fact, said hi. “Well, she did just say hi,” Felix said. “It was totally fine. I feel like, in that shop, it was kind of expected that people were gonna do that, so I really don’t mind.” “It’s more like, weird if I’m on the street or something,” he added. (Topic begins at 5:09) Although PewDiePie has been adamant about not being approached during moments like dinner, it looks like he’s willing to let it slide for certain circumstances.

How PewDiePie defeated the mainstream media and became the king of YouTube – Dexerto
How PewDiePie defeated the mainstream media and became the king of YouTube Although Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has seen his fair share of controversy, the king of YouTube continues to celebrate success on the platform, gaining over 88 million subscribers and counting. PewDiePie’s YouTube career began after he dropped out of college, finding his course in Industrial Management and Economics “boring as hell.” He went on to raise funds for a functional PC by selling hot dogs, which later spurned his series of ‘Let’s Play’ videos that skyrocketed him to fame – including his legendary, 34-part ‘Amnesia’ playthrough. The Swede’s content grew so popular that he became YouTube’s most subscribed channel in 2013, beating out the likes of media giant ‘SMOSH’ in the process. While Felix’s early years were fairly free from controversy, his use of a possible racial slur in his ‘Most Handsome Faces of 2017’ video and his subsequent ‘It’s Raping Time’ video kicked off a slew of scandal, which was later heightened by his Anti-Semitic joke through freelance service ‘Fiverrr.’ This debacle caused Disney’s Maker Studios to drop PewDiePie from their network – and even incentivized YouTube to cancel the second season of his original series, ‘Scare PewDiePie.’ A slew of articles criticizing the YouTuber for his joke went live in the process, including a massive piece from the Wall Street Journal that may have kicked off YouTube’s adpocalpyse. PewDiePie went on to incite even more controversy after using a racial slur during a PUBG livestream, and later shouted out an Anti-Semitic YouTube channel in 2018. Despite the media’s near-constant buzz around PewDiePie’s controversies (with some outlets even linking him to the alt-right), his fanbase faithfully rallied around him in support, with other major YouTubers in the space coming up to bat for the YouTube king amidst the scandals. [Timestamp: 1:00 for mobile viewers] However, PewDiePie was later in the news for a different reason, altogether – he was soon to be surpassed in subscribers by Bollywood label T-Series, which swiftly became one of the most dramatic battles on YouTube. The fight between PewDiePie and T-Series has since gone viral, with the likes of MrBeast advertising for Pewds at the 2019 Super Bowl and Team 10’s Justin Roberts buying out the largest billboard in Times Square. Some hackers have even infiltrated printers, Chromecasts, and other devices with messages asking users to subscribe to PewDiePie – proving that despite his controversies, the YouTuber manages to maintain a massively faithful fanbase to this day. While T-Series was originally projected to surpass PewDiePie in late 2018, the YouTuber has fended off his nemesis for nearly six months, and now sits at over 88 million subs thanks to his viewers.

PewDiePie defends criticism of Dhar Mann after YouTuber calls him out – Dexerto
PewDiePie defends criticism of Dhar Mann after YouTuber calls him out YouTube: PewDiePie / Dhar MannFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg doubled down on his comments about Dhar Mann’s upload on bullying. Despite being called out, the star defended his criticisms, calling the well-intentioned videos “cringe.” On June 9, YouTuber Dhar Mann uploaded a video slamming PewDiePie for comments he made in the past. The Swede had cracked jokes about the 37-year-old’s video back in April. Responding to the callout, Kjellberg argued that Mann was taking his out video “out of context.” The popular entertainer explained his criticism further and why he thinks the bullying PSA was “poorly executed.” PewDiePie responds to Dhar Mann’s call-out During his June 16 Last Week I Asked You segment, Pewds’ fans had brought to his attention that Dhar Mann had called him out in his viral “ACTOR QUITS While On Set” video. While initially laughing at being featured in the upload, Kjellberg responded to the content creator hitting out at him. “Way to cut out all the context,” he exclaimed. He then explained why he had made jokes about Mann’s video back in April. “It was just for fun. Listen it was a bad video. I stand by that opinion.” The YouTuber then argued that a video with a positive message can still be bad. “Even if you try to do a positive message, which is great, it was delivered so poorly. There’s no way you could understand it. And if anything, it just misconstrued [the message].” He finished his response by adding: “I don’t think just because you are trying to do something good, that you are above criticism.” (Topic starts at 14:34) PewDiePie appeared to be disappointed by Dhar Mann’s reaction to the jokes he made months ago: “It seemed like Dhar Mann took it in stride until I saw this. So I don’t know. I don’t care.” Despite the drama, he told viewers that he ultimately wishes Mann well. “Just know I have no actual ill will towards him. Not trying to cause tea here. He’s doing his thing, I’m doing my thing.”

PewDiePie “deeply saddened” by tragic Notre Dame fire PewDiePie, YouTube / Wikimedia CommonsFrance’s historic Notre Dame cathedral caught fire due to supposed renovation work on April 15, shocking viewers around the world – including YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg. The YouTuber spoke out on the incident in an episode of ‘Meme Review’ on April 17, where he admitted that he was “shocked” by the damaging fire. “First of all, I don’t find anything funny about a historical monument burning down,” Kjellberg began. “My first reaction was shock, and I’m deeply saddened about this beautiful architecture getting destroyed.” [Timestamp: 3:12 for mobile viewers] PewDiePie even appeared to ask fans to stop making memes of the tragedy due to the video’s title, “Don’t meme Notre Dame.” Despite this apparent warning, the YouTuber went on to find humor in the situation, arguing that it is okay to laugh at a situation in spite of its grim nature. “You can still be sad about something and still laugh about it,” he continued. “That’s fine, in my opinion. So why don’t we just go through the memes?” Laughing is a frequent coping mechanism for many, and PewDiePie looks to be an advocate of the method, as he went on to review several memes about the Notre Dame fire – many of which included allusions to Disney’s ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame.’ NOTRE DAME FROM ABOVE: Drone footage shows extent of damage inflicted upon Paris’ iconic Notre Dame cathedral by devastating fire as almost $1 billion is raised to rebuild it. https://t.co/7CboOEsuNv pic.twitter.com/FEmQmOlO43 — ABC News (@ABC) April 17, 2019 Pokimane joins PewDiePie’s sympathies PewDiePie wasn’t the only internet personality to speak out on the tragedy, either; popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys likewise made a statement on the matter, following her livestreamed trip to Paris not a week before the cathedral went up in flames. “It’s so surreal to see this happening just a few days after having been there in person,” Pokimane Tweeted. “Notre Dame is such an astounding cathedral, wishing the firemen there the best of luck.” it’s so surreal to see this happening just a few days after having been there in person 🙁 Norte Dame is such an astounding cathedral, wishing the firemen there the best of luck :blue_heart::heart:️ https://t.co/iJXWhAUfwa — pokimane (@pokimanelol) April 15, 2019 The burning of Notre Dame The Notre Dame cathedral caught fire on April 15, due to an apparent accident related to renovation work being performed on the historic structure. PewDiePie debunks rumors around fiance Marzia’s YouTube retirement – Dexerto
PewDiePie debunks rumors around fiance Marzia’s YouTube retirement The king of YouTube, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, has come forward to clear the air around his fiance’s indefinite hiatus from the platform. Marzia Bisognin announced on October 22 that she would be quitting YouTube indefinitely, admitting that she wanted to ‘find her own path’ in life. While Marzia’s eight-minute announcement video cited her connection to Felix as a major reason for her retirement, rumors abounded that this development was due to poor mental health or creator burnout – and some even speculated that she was pregnant. However, PewDiePie has since debunked these rumors in his latest episode of Pew News, taking issue with any misrepresentation of her statements in the video. “It had nothing to do with mental health,” he stated. “…It’s been an amazing seven years and she wants to take her own path. I’m proud of her for taking that step.” He likewise felt that it might be difficult for other YouTubers to understand her retirement, considering the current value of internet stardom. “I think for a lot of people, it’s just completely incomprehensible why you would quit YouTube,” he continued. “Ultimately, life is more than YouTube.” PewDiePie claimed that many YouTubers might feel trapped in the platform as their only means of success, and suggested that Marzia is ‘taking the leap’ to work toward her next venture. Marzia has updated her announcement video with a comment explaining why she’d deleted nearly all of the videos on her channel, stating that she ‘needs a clear head,’ and that she is currently undergoing an ‘adjustment period’ before starting the next chapter of her life.

PewDiePie debuts new Virtual YouTuber avatar after taking inspiration from Dream & Corpse – Dexerto
PewDiePie debuts new Virtual YouTuber avatar after taking inspiration from Dream & Corpse YouTube: PewDiePieLast week, YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg announced that he’d be going without a facecam for the foreseeable future — and it seems he’s made good on his promise in a hilarious way. [jwplayer h3XPfMqQ] PewDiePie is YouTube’s biggest independent content creator, boasting the most subscribers out of any other channel on the entire platform (thanks to his infamous battle against T-Series). However, PewDiePie — much like other gaming YouTubers from his era of fame — has always shown his face to fans, sporting a variety of facial hair styles throughout the years. Lately, though, several personalities have skyrocketed to fame partially because they don’t show their faces, namely Corpse Husband and Dream, among others. In effort to “keep up with the times,” as it were, PewDiePie has followed this trend, announcing that he would be turning off his face cam for future uploads after returning from a New Year’s break. While PewDiePie rocked a Minecraft-themed avatar for a video on January 24 — his first “official” video since making his comeback a day prior — on January 25, the Swede debuted an anime-style avatar in true VTuber fashion. The avatar itself could have come right out of a dating simulator; boasting a school uniform jacket, the classic anime-protag hairstyle and a blase expression, PewDiePie’s new look is almost too perfect for the VTuber aesthetic… but that isn’t the only anime-style avatar he’s been rocking lately. During a Minecraft stream on the same day, PewDiePie used yet another anime face-rig getup, this time looking a tad more “Magical School” than before. For this video, his avatar sported white hair and a sweater-vest, as though its designer were aiming for a knock-off Draco Malfoy. Nevertheless, it doesn’t look like the YouTuber has settled on a permanent avatar thus far, and even asked fans to make him a “better” FaceRig avatar for the future. There’s still no telling if Kjellberg will actually make the switch to VTuber a permanent decision — but for now, it’s definitely a treat waiting to see what avatar he’ll use, next.

PewDiePie sets deadline for 100 million subs before YouTube policy change – Dexerto
PewDiePie sets deadline for 100 million subs before YouTube policy change YouTube: PewDiePie / YouTubeDuring the August 19 episode of PewDiePie’s ‘Last Week I Asked You’, the YouTube king rallied his fans to reach 100 million subs by a certain deadline, before a YouTube policy change takes effect. One of the more popular aspects of YouTube is the live subscriber count, where fans can watch their favorite channels cross major milestones as it happens. Sites like Socialblade provide viewers with an accurate sub count in real time. Live counts played a major role in the PewDiePie vs T. Series feud, and largely fueled ‘cancel parties’ with drama such as Tati Westbrook and James Charles. Yet, a new YouTube policy change may switch that, and PewDiePie’s fans now have a deadline to hit if they want to see the YouTube king cross the 100 million sub threshold live. Fans rally to hit the deadline During the August 19 episode of ‘LWIAY’, PewDiePie reacted to a submission from a user named ‘Popcorn00b’ who rallied fans to hit a deadline for reaching 100 millions subs, bringing up the YouTube Policy change taking effect August 31. Read More: Twitch streamer banned for risqué cosplay – PewDiePie reading the post, said “Oh I know this. YouTube is changing their systems so that it will not update subs live so you can’t check a live feed. We can still hit a 100 million subs, we just won’t see the crossing of it.” While he wasn’t 100% sure on how the policy change will work as YouTube hasn’t made it entirely clear, he agreed with the fan and rallied his audience to hit the August deadline just in case. “I don’t know how it will work. But this means we have a deadline! August, 31st baby! We got to hit a 100 million subs!” he laughed before joking “Easy, that’s easy! No problem!” (Timestamp of 01:15 for mobile viewers.) Changes to YouTube On May 21, the official Team YouTube Twitter account posted about the changes, saying that the sub count number would start to be abbreviated for the public. “Currently, public sub counts are abbreviated in most but not all places across YouTube. In August, we’ll make this more consistent by always showing abbreviated sub counts publicly.” it said. Read More: FaZe Censor issues threat to hacker – While YouTube didn’t comment if there was a specific reason for the change, it led many to believe that it was in response drama such as the Tati Westbrook and James Charles drama, where users had ‘cancel parties’ and watched as channels lost subs in real time. While the deadline may spring Pewds’ fans into action, he isn’t a million miles ways from completing the almighty task of hit 100 million subscribers. As of writing, on August 20, the YouTube king is less than half-a-million subs away and growing steadily to meet the deadline. However, if you want a more visual aid, you can follow our dedicated live tracker. Either way, with a deadline in place and PewDiePie slowly creeping towards the jaw-dropping mark, fans can track if they will be getting that mega Minecraft celebration after all.
