Paddy Pimblett accepts Logan Paul’s challenge to fight him in UFC EA SPORTS/Instagram/theufcbaddy/loganpaulUFC star Paddy Pimblett is down to fight YouTuber Logan Paul in the octagon after the influencer called him out earlier this month. Both Logan and brother Jake Paul have been looking to get involved in UFC since their boxing careers took off. Jake has notably gone 5-0, while Logan Paul went the distance against legendary champ Floyd Mayweather last year. In April, Logan explained to Ariel Helwani that if he were to get involved in the UFC, his go-to opponent would be up-and-comer Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett, praising the fighter as “the next Conor McGregor.” Despite concerns from fellow UFC fighters Sean O’Malley and Jorge Masvidal that Logan would beat him due to a major size difference, Pimblett is still convinced he’d make The Maverick tap out. (Segment begins at 1:18 for mobile users.) Paddy Pimblett vows to submit Logan Paul in UFC During an interview with The Schmo, Paddy was asked about Logan Paul’s fight challenge – and he didn’t back down from the opportunity. “He knows who the boy is, doesn’t he? He knows who will put bums on seats, lad. I can’t see him mentioning anyone else,” the Liverpool native said, before admitting the YouTuber had a size advantage. “I know he’s a lot bigger than me, but I don’t think it really matters, to be honest.” According to Pimblett, despite Logan having an edge with his size, his technical skills would suffice and be enough to earn the win. “I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly but you never know, anything can happen in a fight. If Logan Paul ever does want the fight, lad, I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with,” he added. So far, Logan has responded to Paddy accepting the fight… but with UFC boss Dana White open to having the elder Paul brother in the octagon, it will be fun to see if the two end up touching gloves in the future.

Pacqui’s One Chip Challenge pulled from store shelves in light of teen fatality – Dexerto
Pacqui’s One Chip Challenge pulled from store shelves in light of teen fatality Paqui / GoFundMePacqui has pulled its One Chip Challenge from store shelves following the death of a Massachusetts teenager who had ingested one of the spicy chips as part of a viral TikTok trend. On September 1, 14-year-old Harris Wolobah was hospitalized after losing consciousness in his family home. He was later pronounced dead, with his family suspecting “complications” from Pacqui’s One Chip Challenge. According to Harris’ mother, Lois Walobah, the Massachusetts teen had left school earlier that same day after ingesting the chip and reporting a bad stomach ache to the school nurse. Following the tragic death, Paqui has now decided to voluntarily remove its product from store shelves. This comes after what the company claims is an “increase in teen usage of the product”, despite the chip being “intended for adults only”. “We care about all of our consumers and have made the decision to remove the product from shelves,” a spokesperson for Paqui first told NBC News before the statement was shared across social media. “We are actively working with our retailers and are offering refunds for any purchases of our single-serve One Chip Challenge product.” A statement on the company’s website said that the chips’ packaging has “clear and prominent labeling highlighting the chip is not for children or anyone sensitive to spicy foods or who has food allergies, is pregnant or has underlying health conditions.” Despite this, Paqui claims to have seen an “increase in teens and other individuals not heeding the warnings on the packaging.” The company said, “As a result, while the product continues to adhere to food safety standards, out of an abundance of caution, we are actively working with our retailers to remove the product from shelves.” In the meantime, an autopsy is still pending to determine Harris’ cause of death. Tashia Roberts, the teen’s cousin, has set up a GoFundMe to help “alleviate the burden of funeral expenses.” At the time of this writing, the fundraiser has already surpassed its goal of $30,000 and is currently at $33,425. The page encourages people to seek medical attention if they experience complications like difficulty breathing, fainting, or ‘extended nausea’.

Pacsun partners with SypherPK’s Metal Umbrella for exclusive apparel collection Pacsun / Metal UmbrellaProfessional Fortnite player and Twitch streamer SypherPK is officially collaborating with Pacsun to create some of the first streamer-founded clothing to be sold in physical retail stores. This is not the first time SypherPK has released popular apparel. In August 2021 his brand, Metal Umbrella released its first collection ‘Too Young To Worry’. The collection featured subtle designs based on his favorite cultures and streetwear. SypherPK told Dexerto that when making the apparel his aim was “to create something that could stand on its own but is supported by me, and my fans know this is my project.” Therefore, the designs were simply subtle nods to the streamer’s brand as a whole. This is precisely what he’s done with his new collection, only this time it will be available in physical retail stores thanks to the collaboration with Pacsun. Similar to his original collection, the apparel is based on his passion for Japanese culture. Using this inspiration, both SypherPK and Pacsun have created a series of six unique designs imprinted on t-shirts, long-sleeved tops, and hoodies. The design boasts a bold yet comfortable styling of Asian streetwear, molded from anime, far-east mythology, and SypherPK’s own brand logo. If you’re looking to grab some of the Metal Umbrella apparel, you will find it in 25 Pacsun stores which include locations like San Diego, Austin, and Los Angeles. They will range from between $30 and $60. But there are only a limited amount of items from its release (October 6, 2022) so you’ll need to purchase them while stocks last.

P90princess calls out NICKMERCS with claims he’s not living by “peace and love” motto Instagram: p90princess / Twitch: NICKMERCSTwitch streamer p90princess and NICKMERCS have had ongoing drama for over a year, and she’s now calling him out, claiming he doesn’t live by his “peace and love” motto. If you have missed any of the previous events, the drama between the two parties stemmed from a Warzone tournament. Ali’s (p90princess) boyfriend, HusKerrs, and Nick got into an in-game disagreement, and it’s expanded far beyond the game. NICKMERCS has accused princess and Husk of “dirty rat energy” after she came at him for flexing his viewership over a random Twitch chatter. Fast forward to March 2022, the beef is unsettled, and Ali is calling out the streamer for not helping the situation. P90princess claims to be harassed by NICKMERCS’ MFAM community In a tweet on March 19, Ali revealed that she’s been dealing with harassment from the MFAM community for “a year.” “It’s been a year of harassment from the mfam,” she tweeted. “I finally reached out to nick to ask for peace…and I get blocked.” It’s been a year of harassment from the mfam. I finally reached out to nick to ask for peace…and I get blocked. A YEAR of harassment from one of the biggest streamers communities and no one stands up about it. If you preach peace and love then live it. pic.twitter.com/UyMqOeJ9gr — ali (@EverythingAli_) March 20, 2022 She revealed that she reached out to Nick directly via Twitter DMs and asked “that we all just forgive and move forward.” Ali said that harassment has gone to both her and HusKerrs, but claims Nick has not tried anything to stop his community from doing it. After sending the message, she claimed that NICKMERCS blocked her on Twitter and said, “If you preach peace and love then live it.” Read More: MrBeast brings back viral Player 67 from Squid Game video for second chance at Glass Bridge – Those that tune into Nick’s stream will know that he is constantly spreading positivity and telling his chat “peace and love.” However, p90princess says he isn’t willing to stop the hate. According to NICKMERCS’ social media manager, he has “gone on stream on numerous occasions telling viewers not to send any hate messages.” So lets start with some facts, if this is the game we’re playing. For starters, Nick has gone on stream on NUMEROUS occasions telling viewers not to send any hate messages, so for you to pretend he hasn’t is absurd. — Agent AlbertoliRavioli (@AlbertoRavioli) March 20, 2022 In a thread, he added that Nick tried to settle this privately, but Ali and Husk declined to do so. However, Ali responded by saying that her messages to Nick were simply for “peace between us” and not to ask him to tell his stream to stop harassing them.

Overworked woman gets revenge on boss with 200 paid sick hours – Dexerto
Overworked woman gets revenge on boss with 200 paid sick hours TikTok: britt_brattOne overworked woman was sure to leave a lasting impression before her exit from her job. When it’s time to leave a job, our internal clocks just know. However, while waiting for her transfer, one woman got the sweetest revenge on her boss for making her wait two months. Saying that she had only done so because her boss had “pissed” her off, TikToker britt_bratt used 200 paid sick hours during the two months before her official transfer. TikTok has since reacted with their own paid time off stories and has commended britt_bratt for taking control of the situation. Woman received even more hours of paid sick leave after her transfer After never taking off work for her entire time at her job, britt_bratt was waiting for a transfer to another location when she thought of a way to get back at her boss for taking too long to let her go. With 200 paid sick hours left, britt_bratt used every single one of them meticulously throughout the two months it took for her to transfer. In her viral TikTok video, britt_bratt recorded the hours she had put in each day. Some days she took the entire day off, while others she worked a couple hours and left “sick.” She also made her viewers aware of how grateful she was to be able to do so, playing the song “Look At God” by Koryn Hawthorne in the background of the video. Those who viewed britt_bratt’s video shared their own PTO stories, saying, “My grandma had like 6 years worth of sick time when she retired and they paid her the difference for the sick time.” However, many people expressed that their jobs would never allow them the same leniency, saying, “My call-out policy would never let me do this!” Others complimented britt_bratt for her intelligent exit, saying, “I strive to be this strategic.” And, “I love to see it.” Britt_bratt also mentioned that she was allotted more hours after switching locations for her job. And though she was still employed, nothing says ‘sayonara’ better than revenge!

OWL pro SPACE apologizes for transphobic Twitch stream title – Dexerto
OWL pro SPACE apologizes for transphobic Twitch stream title Twitter: Indy HalpernIndy ‘SPACE’ Halpern has apologized for using a transphobic title on a recent Twitch stream, explaining it was based on lyrics from a Lil Uzi Vert song that he thought was about something else. It’s a monumental time for Twitch streamers and viewers after the streaming platform announced diversity tags, including one for transgender people, after a widespread movement that involved protests finally paid off. However, just after that announcement, SPACE, a professional Overwatch player currently playing for the Los Angeles Gladiators, offended fans by titling his stream: “Check my DMs found out she was a man. I can’t dm never ever again.” SPACE has been using song lyrics in his stream titles for several months now, and this title wasn’t any different. It was taken from the song “That’s A Rack” by Lil Uzi Vert. However, his fans pointed out the lyric is transphobic in context, and after bringing it to his attention, he apologized and explained he thought it meant something else. “The title… was a Lil Uzi Vert lyric, which I thought was about him being catfished while DMing someone. After the stream, I became aware it was actually a transphobic lyric which was not my intention at all. “I know this hurt people, and that’s on me. I’m sorry to those who were hurt by this and want everyone to know this mistake isn’t a representation of me or the community I’m trying to build when I stream. I’m going to take care going forward to make sure this doesn’t happen again.” Fans commended SPACE for owning up to his “honest mistake.” Some mentioned they also thought the lyric was about cat-fishing but appreciated the fact he looked into it and took responsibility. Either way, he’ll almost certainly be a little more cautious about which lyrics he decides to use in his stream titles from now on.

Overwatch YouTuber taking indefinite break following fabricated grooming allegations – Dexerto
Overwatch YouTuber taking indefinite break following fabricated grooming allegations YouTube: SVBOverwatch content creator SVB announced an indefinite hiatus after addressing the fabricated grooming allegations that targeted him. Drama surrounded the Overwatch community following grooming allegations made against Overwatch content creator SVB. However, not long after the allegations gained traction on social media, the original accuser admitted to fully fabricating the claims. Now, SVB has spoken out about the incident and announced an indefinite break from content creation as a result. Overwatch YouTuber targeted with false allegations SVB released a video on August 12 titled “An Internet Hoax Almost Ruined My Life: This Is My Story,” which addressed the fabricated controversy that surrounded him. The YouTuber begins and ends his video by urging those watching to not use what happened to him “as an excuse to undermine or disbelieve actual victims of real crimes — of grooming, of sexual assault, or any sexual misconduct,” and also to “allow those accused the chance to present their story.” Regarding the incident itself, a “troll account,” using the Twitter handle ‘niaplaysow’ accused SVB of grooming and soliciting explicit images from underage girls, complete with doctored screenshots of fake interactions with him. These allegations quickly picked up steam on social media, and, as SVB claimed in his video “Within 15 minutes, I’m watching person after person call me disgusting, a vile animal, a pig, someone who should be extricated from the Overwatch community…” Shortly after the situation exploded online, ‘niaplaysow,’ now using the Twitter handle SwagTourtoiseOW, admitted to fabricating the entire incident. According to now-deleted tweets, they wanted to “prove how easy it is to ‘cancel’ someone” and show “how cringe this community is.” SVB recounted his reaction to the situation and his horror as he watched his “career that [he] spent four-odd years working towards, basically go down the drain in about 30 minutes.” After expressing doubts about the stability of both the content creation and influencer career paths, SVB ended the video by announcing an indefinite hiatus from his main channel in order to reassess his future. Those interested in watching the full video should do so, as SVB gives nuanced thoughts about this situation, cancel culture on social media, and the pitfalls of modern influencer culture and content creation.

Overwatch streamer under fire after pet cat gets electric shock – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer under fire after pet cat gets electric shock An Overwatch streamer is coming under fire after she watched her pet cat chew through wires which resulted in it receiving an electric shock. Animals, especially cats, can be pesky creatures, with many streamers having their broadcasts sabotaged by the hairy felines. But one Overwatch streamer is receiving heat from internet forum Reddit after her kitty chewed through a wire and shocked itself live on stream, with many upset that she didn’t check on her pet afterwards. Streamer’s cat gets electric shock ‘Sadlittlesun’ was playing the hero-based shooter on October 17 when her furry friend suddenly appeared behind her and started to chew on a wire leading to some Christmas lights hung up on the wall. “Stop!” she scolded the animal calmly, before hitting the wire to try and deter it from the behavior. “He’s chewing on my f*cking cord! On my f*cking Christmas lights!” (Mobile viewers, click here for the clip.) The streamer looked on as the cat continued to attack the wire. “You’re going to f*cking electrocute yourself!” she exclaimed, before the lights suddenly turned off and the animal flew off in a flurry across the room as it got shocked by the electricity current. “Oh God!” sadlittlesun stated as she burst into hysterical laughter, finding the situation absolutely hilarious. “Oh God, dude!” her friend who she was chatting to during her broadcast exclaimed. “You didn’t stop her (the cat)!” People were furious The moment was clipped and found its way onto “front page of the internet” Reddit, where viewers were stunned by what they’d witnessed, focusing mainly on questions surrounding the reasoning why the streamer hadn’t stopped her cat, or checked it was okay once it had been shocked instead of laughing about it. “Who just sits there and watches their cat chew on live wires?” one user asked. “I wasn’t ready to hate her for not stopping the cat. I am when I saw her laughing.” another replied. 600On another thread about the same incident, people were equally as upset by the clip, with one person even going so far as to report her for the situation. “The problem is that she encouraged her cat to harm itself and laughed about it instead of being a responsible owner.” a user replied. “What if the cat does something stupid again, she doesn’t respond to it, and the cat dies or is seriously injured?” The 21-year-old is mainly known for streaming Overwatch, and keeps her broadcasts in a tight-knit circle of almost 200 followers on Twitch. While she is a self-proclaimed “addict” of the first-person shooter, it’s probably a wise guess that she’ll be taking more time away from the game to watch what her pet is doing in the future to avoid any further accidents.

Overwatch streamer’s attempt to go Super Saiyan fails spectacularly – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer’s attempt to go Super Saiyan fails spectacularly An Overwatch streamer’s attempt to get amped up for his competitive match went horribly wrong when his Dragon Ball Z screaming hilariously annoyed his wife instead. Gaming on Twitch is a balancing act of entertaining and engaging your audience, while also performing well in the title that you are playing, especially if it’s an online competitive shooter. However, most personalities broadcast from home, so they have to be larger in life for their viewers, without disturbing the peace of those that live around them – something which an Overwatch streamer amusingly became an example of. Streamer’s attempt to go Super Saiyan backfires Twitch personality ‘thebaesed‘ had just jumped into a queue for competitive mode when he decided to get himself pumped up for the next match, as he was just one away from reaching Masters rank. “I need to power up, dude,” he told his chat, and began playing a Dragon Ball Z song to go ‘Super Saiyan’ – a move in which certain characters from the anime transform into an over-powered version of themselves. Imitating the animation, he put both of his fists into the air and started to shake them violently, before screaming as loud as possible as the music continued to blast. Feeling a renewed energy, he told his team “Let’s get it boys!” However, his attempt to get “powered up” backfired when his wife yelled at him after being shocked by the noise he was making. “Bae!” she called out, snapping the streamer out of his game. “Was that you!? Or was there someone at the door?!” she asked. The streamer admitted that it was him yelling and apologized. “Why are you doing that sh*t!? I almost fell out of my a*s!” his wife exclaimed. The Twitch personality couldn’t stop laughing at the unexpected exchange, and said, “Oh my god, dude. Oh sh*t.” The hilarious moment was a good example of streamers having to entertain their audience while also finding a balance to not annoy those who live around them. Dragon Ball Z continues to be one of the most popular animes in the world. Originally releasing in 1989, it’s had countless spin-offs and adaptations, making it an iconic property in gaming that many people still take inspiration from today.

Overwatch streamer twomad banned from Twitch – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer twomad banned from Twitch Popular Overwatch Twitch streamer and YouTuber twomad told fans he had been permanently banned from Twitch on Tuesday, April 23. Twomad has almost 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube and was a popular streamer on Twitch before being banned. Besides Overwatch, twomad played Fortnite and other games with viewers on the streaming platform, but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to let the ban slow him down. Exactly why he got banned is still unknown but several users on Twitter thought it could be because twomad went onto video chat site Omegle while streaming. Omegle isn’t mentioned specifically in the Twitch TOS, but the site’s random video chat is notorious for obscene content, which definitely violates the rules. Twomad doesn’t seem phased by the ban though and told fans he’ll just continue streaming on Mixer, another video game streaming site. blackface on stream to using their phones in inappropriate ways. On the same day as twomad got banned another Twitch streamer named TF Blade was also banned after Twitch censors mistook his pronunciation of “negative” as a racial slur. Another streamer, Calebhart42 was banned after Discord messages that showed him using offensive, racist language. There has been a lot of controversy in the past about what some streamers are able to get away with, or what others are punished for and based on the last week alone it doesn’t look to be going away anytime soon.

Overwatch streamer ruins setup after “angry” desk slam – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer ruins setup after “angry” desk slam Twitch/Warn/Blizzard EntertainmentOverwatch streamer Warn’s April 26 Twitch broadcast had a few technical difficulties after he slammed his desk, and nearly destroyed his webcam. The PS4 Ashe main was attacking on Temple of Anubis when his viewers goaded him into hitting his desk and doing his best “angry” impression. “Warn, do angry,” the Canadian streamer read his chat before rolling his eyes at the prospect. Being a good entertainer, however, he decided to give his audience what they asked for and with a half-smile on his face, slamming his palm down onto his desk. Unfortunately for Warn, immediately after impact, his webcam froze, forever locking him in the slam animation – just like a Reinhardt propelled in the air while activating Earthshatter. However, unlike Rein, who either eventually hits the ground or dies, Warn didn’t suddenly unfreeze and his camera remained locked in place, aggravating the Overwatch player. “Uh, uh, f**k,” the streamer swore under his breath. “F**k me, dude. F**k me. I can’t fix it chat. Goddamnit. Okay, enjoy the gameplay, guys.” While Warn did end up playing the remainder of the round while frozen, he did manage to get it fixed in time for his team to play defense. “I’m not slamming the desk again,” he said, not wanting to go through that debacle for a second time. Sadly, even though he didn’t hit his desk, his camera still ended up freezing once more right after calling his Mercy teammate “braindead.” “Wait, what the f**k?!” he gasped. “It froze again? What the f**k, dude? Oh my God. My webcam keeps freezing, chat. I’m going to lose it.” Luckily, after that match, the streamer managed to fix his setup and seemed to have avoided any further hiccups. Nonetheless, his entire Sunday night stream nearly ended up being one of the most costly of his career all because due to a pretend outburst.

Overwatch streamer performs ridiculous task in exchange for Twitch sub – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer performs ridiculous task in exchange for Twitch sub An Overwatch streamer made the bizarre choice to perform a potentially dangerous task during his broadcast in exchange for a Twitch sub from a member of his chat. The life of a streamer can be hard when starting out at the bottom, as it take hundreds of hours of consistent broadcasts before they can build a large following to their channel. It’s also not above some personalities to do crazy things to fast-track that process, from anything to IRL broadcast pranks, to being risque – all in the pursuit of getting subscribers. However, one streamer added another antic to the list when he performed a questionable task during his broadcast, and did so for a Twitch sub from a person in his chat. Streamer ‘PuzzlingGames’ was in the middle of his broadcast when he paused for a break from his game, and took on the challenge of snorting popular energy formula G FUEL to get a Twitch sub from an audience member. The Overwatch player took the powder from out of the container and put it on his table, forming it into a line, and stated “F*ck it!” before taking it into his nose and performing the outrageous stunt. He immediately began to cough and exclaimed, “F*ck yeah! Do that Twitch Prime!” before telling his chat, “I want a clip of that!” The streamer then continued to press his finger into the side of his nose. When his friend asked him how he was doing, PuzzlingGames replied, “I’m crying bro. Oh my god my eyes!” before he began to cough again. The streamer then blew his nose into a napkin. “Holy sh*t!” he yelled, as he continued to blow his nose to get the substance out. “I am dying, I need water now. Give me my water. I’m literally, there’s tears forming from my eyes!” “I’m gonna get banned now. It’s just G FUEL!” the Twitch streamer exclaimed, holding the energy powder’s container up to the camera. “It’s okay, I’m cracked!” The streamer commented on his stunt on his Twitter on November 23, tweeting, “Tonight I snorted G FUEL… Sellout for Twitch Prime.” According to PuzzlingGames’ Twitch bio, the streamer says he’s 20 years old, and that Overwatch is “basically his life,” although he streams a variety of other games as well. It should go without saying that it’s not safe to ingest any substance into your nose, let alone G FUEL, although if nothing else, this is just another example of the lengths streamers will go to get subs.

Overwatch streamer Fareeha responds to backlash over her comments about South American players – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer Fareeha responds to backlash over her comments about South American players Popular Overwatch streamer Fareeha has issued an apology after she landed herself in hot water with comments that she made about South American players on stream. “I’m genuinely sorry,” Fareeha Andersen states at the beginning of a lengthy TwitLonger statement relating to the controversy surrounding her outburst during an Overwatch stream. “I fucked up. Here’s how…” Fareeha, a popular streamer on Twitch, had been playing with and against South Americans during her February 7 stream when things got a little out of hand and unsavory comments started flying in both directions. However, as the trash talking began to ramp up, the streamer’s comments about South American players clearly struck a nerve with some viewers and fellow players. “South America players are shit,” Fareeha said. “They’re actually shit, they’re actually shit – I’m not just saying that to be mean.” The clip immediately went viral, prompting multiple Reddit threads to be created about the situation, some of which were updated with any further comments made by Fareeha during the stream despite the VOD being deleted. Ok so, apparently this girl just deleted her clips talking shit about my region, so here we go. @FareehaAndersen nice to meet u  pic.twitter.com/PodvDTKQ84 — ISG BEAST (@BeastJDL) February 7, 2019 “You guys have no fucking lives, get the fuck out of my channel,” she stated when some members of her chat began to turn on her. “Get the fuck out – don’t need you here. That just proves my point, like, that’s so fucking pathetic. They are shit though, not gonna lie, they are shit. You put a six stack from NA against a six stick from South America and you see what happens.” She seemed unfazed by the response of angry viewers, stating: “You guys can shit talk me all you want, but I’m the one who gets to play video games for a living. Nothing you say to me can hurt me.” One of those angry members of Twitch chat has uploaded part of the VOD to YouTube, calling Fareeha a ‘racist’. Fareeha has also shared the entire VOD in an attempt to show the incident from start to finish: After the incident, Fareeha took to Twitter to apologize for her actions: “Regarding my remarks about the South American and European regions on stream, I apologize for my words and the offense they may have caused. My comments were meant for entertainment, but clearly missed the mark. I will strive to think more critically about my words in the future.” However, the tweet was deleted a short time after as Fareeha received more backlash for the ‘entertainment’ statement. Fareeha’s more lengthy apology, posted to TwitLonger, attempts to describe things from her point of view and explain her thought processes throughout the situation. “I mean no hate towards South Americans,” she says, referring to her original comments about the players. “The angle I intended with that was more of a ‘just like with EU, there’s less of a playerbase, less emphasis and support for esports, therefore less cutthroat competition like you’d see in KR servers for instance’. “Surely enough, as soon as the game came to a close, apparently the clip had already gotten around. I IMMEDIATELY got hateful comments flooding chat, saying ‘you talk shit about SA but you’re masters’, ‘go back to playing sims you’re fucking boosted’, ‘go back to the kitchen, puta’ and things that got progressively worse and more sexist, even homophobic, and so I do what I usually do when this happens on stream.” She added: “I call them out on it, I get aggressive and stand up for myself because if I don’t, who will? THIS is the aggression/anger that people might be talking about, but was honestly only in self defense.” I’m genuinely sorry, I fucked up. Here’s how… Read: https://t.co/uaW0u3hOTr — Fareeha (@FareehaAndersen) February 8, 2019 Fareeha adds: “None of this is intended as a means to excuse my behavior BUT I do want to have my side of the story out there, y’know?” There is no word yet if Fareeha will face, or has already faced, consequences from either Twitch or Blizzard for her comments. However, it seems likely that she will face backlash from some members of the community – especially South American players – for some time, despite her multiple apologies.

Overwatch streamer Fran exposes “months” of gross Twitter messages – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer Fran exposes “months” of gross Twitter messages Instagram: @frana_ow / PixabayPopular Overwatch streamer Francine ‘Fran’ Vo revealed to her followers that someone has been spamming her with disturbing Twitter DMs for “months.” Fran is one of the most popular streamers in Overwatch, as her high-ranking support skills make her a force to be reckoned with in Blizzard’s competitive hero shooter. However on April 26, the player exposed a person that has been contacting her on social media. The culprit had been sending her disgusting messages for months. Fran reveals disturbing Twitter DMs The Overwatch player opened up about the bizarre messages on Twitter, and revealed the disturbing subject of the DMs she had been receiving from the same individual. “This person has been messaging me about poop for MONTHS,” she tweeted. Her post included several photos which compiled months worth of texts from the disturbing person. Examples of the message included “Happy Poo Year!” sent at the beginning of January. And “One day I pray for a reply from my favourite streamer.” The potty-based humor was sent for over eight months. https://twitter.com/FRANA_OW/status/1254483148353626112 Followers of Fran were disgusted by the bathroom themed messages, although some mocked the culprit. User ‘RIPAmbad’ replied, “That is…some…”dedication,” I guess.” Another user ‘tm_flood’ hit out toxic viewers she’s encountered in the past, exclaiming, “Somehow I imagine this is a welcomed DM compared to most others you receive on a daily basis.” While the messages are strange to say the least, if nothing else her post is an eye-opening look at the kind of disturbing interactions female streamers have to deal with. Despite the bizarre DMs she’s been receiving for almost a year, Fran has been crushing it lately in the team-based shooter. On April 19, her team took top prize at the Flash Ops: Echo Showdown. The streamer also announced on Twitter that she’s running her own Overwatch tournament starting on May 2. ‘Fran’s Community Cup’ will have a prizepool of $3,000.

Overwatch streamer hits back at Twitch after “lingerie” stream warning Twitter: @AskFareeha / TwitchPopular Overwatch streamer Fareeha Andersen hit back at Twitch after receiving a warning for violating Twitch’s Community Guidelines by hosting a “lingerie” stream. Twitch partner and popular Overwatch streamer Fareeha was not too happy she was given a warning for violating the Community Guidelines on the streaming platform. The DPS main argued against the warning’s claim that she was wearing lingerie on Twitter and re-sparked the debate with how the streaming platform enforces its rules, particularly with the clothing guidelines. Warned for wearing “lingerie” The Overwatch streamer posted a screenshot of an email she received from Twitch on Twitter on September 14, which said she was “recently reported for breaking Twitch Community Guidelines” and it listed “underwear” and “lingerie” as the reason. The email then informed her that the VODs that were reported had been deleted to “avoid further reports” and then said that she would be on a probation period for the next 90 days. The Gen.G streamer is not allowed to be a part of promotional activities until it is lifted. Fareeha decided to hit back at the streaming platform and tweeted “Because workout clothes and showing midriff=lingerie” and uploaded a picture of the clothes she was wearing that was considered so risque that it violated the guidelines. Because workout clothes and showing midriff=lingerie ok ok ok cool cool cool pic.twitter.com/KNSCinmMIP — Fareeha Gen.G (@AskFareeha) September 14, 2019 The Overwatch streamer followed up by saying that she doesn’t “even own lingerie” and that all she has is “giant ass sports bras” which doesn’t show off any cleavage, before cracking a joke: “As if I had any LOL.” i don’t even own lingerie, all i have are giant ass sports bras that i wear as shirts, they don’t even show an ounce of cleavage (as if i had any LOL) — Fareeha Gen.G (@AskFareeha) September 14, 2019 She then argued that the warning didn’t make much sense, given that not only do her clothes not show much skin, but that her on stream camera is “always shoulders and up.” Read More: xQc and Trainwrecks argue over Amouranth’s Twitch ban Fareeha then made the observation that you “can see more t*t” just by going outside and walking among the general public. my on stream camera is quite literally ALWAYS shoulders and up, you can see more tit just from going out on the streets — Fareeha Gen.G (@AskFareeha) September 14, 2019 While it’s unclear if she was mass reported by trolls, the Twitch personality is currently on probation as of the time of this article. Fareeha is a popular Overwatch streamer for Gen.G Esports, and boasts almost 70,000 followers on the platform as of September 14.

Overwatch streamer banned for hate speech after calling South American players “shit” – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer banned for hate speech after calling South American players “shit” Twitter / @FareehaAndersenTwitch streamer Fareeha Andersen has had her account banned for “engaging in hateful conduct against a person or group of people”, after she called a team of South American Overwatch players “shit”. The ban will last 30 days, and will also leave Andersen with a community guidelines strike against her account. Fareeha is a popular streamer, known mostly as a skilled Overwatch player, with almost 50,000 followers, but her account is currently not available on the platform. Fareeha was in a match against a team of South American players on February 7, when she told her team “it’s alright, we can still beat them, South American players are shit. They’re actually shit. I’m not just saying that to be mean.” Fareeha later apologized, in a lengthy TwitLonger she said “I’m genuinely sorry, I fucked up. […] I mean no hate towards South Americans. The angle I intended with that was more of a “just like with EU, there’s less of a playerbase, less emphasis and support for esports, therefore less cutthroat competition like you’d see in KR servers for instance.” She explains that her team was often being placed in South American servers with high ping, and combined with trolling from South American players and fans in her chat and discord, Fareeha lashed out. As reported by Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, a Discord server Fareeha’s Twitch chat was rife with “harassing, griefing and [stream] sniping”. Shown in screenshots with translations attached, some of the messages read “you f***ing whore, u are ugly and we don’t care about u getting high ping” and “showing her boobs […] oh wait she doesn’t have any.” Fareeha posted the email notification of her suspension on Twitter, clearly surprised by the punishment. Not everyone was sympathetic however, with suggestions that her comments were ‘xenophobic’ and that her ban should come as no surprise. i offended an entire region by being xenophobic and deleted the evidences WHY AM I BEING SUSPENDED ON TWITCH pic.twitter.com/1jVtgQTJ7L— elly (@quantxmphysics) February 13, 2019 Others argued that while the suspension was warranted, the length of the ban may have been “excessive”. 30 day suspension however seems a bit excessive and yes, ppl have done worse and gotten no punishment or barely a couple days suspension. but @TwitchSupport @Twitch doesn’t seem to have a clear rule set on how many day suspension or ban each offense should get — Denu (@blueDenu) February 13, 2019 In any case, Fareeha should have her account reinstated within 30 days, but the community guidelines strike will remain. Often streamers who receive three strikes are banned permanently. Twitch does not comment on community guidelines violations, to respect the privacy of users.

Overwatch streamer goes on bizarre anti-meat rant that leaves everyone confused – Dexerto
Overwatch streamer goes on bizarre anti-meat rant that leaves everyone confused Twitch streamer ‘Kafeeeeee_ow’ surprised his chat by going on a strange anti-meat tirade during an Overwatch match that escalated quickly and left everyone watching very confused. Kafeeeeee usually streams Overwatch on Twitch but has also played professionally for Contender’s squad Young and Beautiful. What exactly prompted the outburst about carnivores is unknown, but things definitely escalated pretty quickly. Where’s the beef? In the middle of an Overwatch match on Junkertown, Kafeeeeee went from talking about how meat was unhealthy to insulting viewers for apparently disagreeing with him. “Meat is not healthy, you cannot argue with some stuff that are absolute, they’re fucking absolute right?” He asked. “You’re mother is a whore, it’s absolute you cannot argue.” Kafeeeeee said the idea that meat was bad for you was an “absolute fact” to him based on extensive research he had conducted himself. “It is absolute, my guy. I have read over like fucking 10 articles about meat being healthy my dude, I have diabetes, I see how it affects my body,” he said. “You fags never ate a fucking banana in your entire life and you want to teach me if it’s good or not.” Of course, meat and other foods affect everyone in different ways, so Kafeeeeee could just be speaking from personal experience, and eating nothing but meat would definitely be bad for you, he just chose a very strange way of saying it. Looks like meat’s back on the menu, boys After attempting to educate his chat, Kafeeeeee didn’t seem too disappointed in some of their reluctance to admit meat was “unhealthy”. “If you choose not to become vegan that’s fine, your choice, but know your fucking facts, idiots,” he said. “Now we can joke about it, now’s the time to joke about it.” Kafeeeeee definitely chose a strange, and confrontational way to talk to chat about eating meat, but it seems unlikely a lot of people were convinced.

Overwatch Player xQc Rage Smashes His Keyboard While Streaming – Dexerto
Overwatch Player xQc Rage Smashes His Keyboard While Streaming Felix “xQc” Lengyel, the former Dallas Fuel star who was kicked out of the OWL, added another moment to his controversial highlight reel by punching his keyboard in frustration during his stream. xQc is not known for his self-control while streaming, earning a suspension and fine from Dallas Fuel back in January for insensitive comments towards the first openly LGBT player in the Overwatch League – Houston Outlaws pro Austin “Muma” Wilmot. He then was kicked off the Fuel completely after using racially disparaging emotes in the comment section of the official Overwatch League stream. Fortunately for xQc, the only victims of his stream antics last night were his fist and his keyboard as he raged punch his equipment following an Overwatch loss. Playing as Reinhardt and having a full charge on his Earthshatter Ultimate, xQc made his way to the objective as the enemy was about to capture. His teammates were contesting the objective to allow xQc to change the match with his Ultimate ability, but the enemy team prevented him from reaching the point with a well-timed Ice Wall from a Mei player. xQc was locked behind the Ice Wall, unable to use his Ultimate and was forced to watch his teammates fall in the kill feed to lose the match. The frustration was too much for Felix “xQc” Lengyel and he unloaded two punches into his keyboard, causing a rather hilarious sound to ring out from his microphone stand. He then slumps back into his chair and claims “I can’t do no more.” We do not know if he stopped playing due to frustration, or maybe a sore hand. Check out the clip below.

Harbleu said that he had asked both of his parents to appear on his stream over the holiday period, giving him a chance to introduce them to his viewers, and speak about their past. However, he said that his mother didn’t want to because she was so embarrassed. Yet, he was saved by his dad who jumped right in and answered a ton of fan questions. “My dad was a fucking badass man. I am very happy he came on my stream,” said Harbleu as the video ended. “I am very happy that my dad came on my stream and I’m going to cherish that video.” The emotionally-charged moment finished with Harbleu bringing the stream to an end by thanking his fans for sticking by his side and showing him plenty of love upon his return. “Thank you guys for making this a good stream back. 2019 has been rough but there’s nowhere to go but up from here,” he added before looking for another streamer to host. Overwatch player slams streamer after being asked if she’s Pokimane – Dexerto
Overwatch player slams streamer after being asked if she’s Pokimane Somjuu, Twitch / Pokimanelol, InstagramA Twitch streamer was left floored after being thrashed by an Overwatch player, who’d apparently lost her cool after being asked if she was Pokimane one too many times. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is a hugely popular streamer on Twitch, best known for her hilarious undercover interactions with fans in games like Fortnite. However, Pokimane isn’t known for playing Overwatch — but that didn’t stop fellow streamer ‘Somjuu’ from questioning if he was playing with the star during a competitive match in early April. Somjuu was on mic with a player named ‘Poki,’ prompting him to tentatively inquire if she was the internet celebrity so known for trolling players undercover. However, her response was decidedly less enthusiastic, instead thrashing Somjuu for asking the question and implying that she had to be the “real Poki.” “Is that an original callout about my name?” she asked sarcastically. “Holy s**t dude, you’re actually so hilarious, like I’ve never heard that before. Like, you’re actually so f**king funny, dude. Actually, I’m dying in my chair right now.” Completely blindsided by the player’s unexpected response, Somjuu’s facial expression quickly turned bewildered, zooming in on his facecam as the player continued her rant. “Like, I’ve never heard something so original!” she added. “You’re so funny! Holy f**k!” “Woah woah woah, what the f**k did I say?” Somjuu asked in shock. “What the f**k? What did I do? What did I say wrong? Who’s Poki?” Somjuu was finally able to get a response from the player, who clarified that she wasn’t offended, but rather found his comments lackluster. “Let’s be honest — why did you get offended when I said, ‘It’s the real Poki?” “I didn’t get offended, I’m just saying that you’re not funny,” she replied. Unfortunately, it seems that Somjuu had this Poki confused with another streamer other than Pokimane — something that left the player confused, with Somjuu ultimately concluding that she was “tripping” over a simple miscommunication. Their misunderstanding aside, Somjuu’s reaction to the conversation makes for a hilarious clip that everyone can relate to after unintentionally stepping on someone’s toes.

Overwatch community rallies behind McGravy as he shoots shot with Halsey – Dexerto
Overwatch community rallies behind McGravy as he shoots shot with Halsey Twitter, @McGravy / Twitter, @Halsey[jwplayer 91I9RIGm]Back in April, global popstar Ashley ‘Halsey’ Frangipane and Overwatch League flex-tank Caleb ‘McGravy’ McGarvey interacted on Twitter using their shared appreciation for D.Va cosplays. Now, the entire Overwatch community is encouraging McGravy’s courtship. None of the interactions between Halsey and McGravy can be taken incredibly seriously, but that hasn’t stopped everyone from trying to give McGravy their infinite support. In the initial moment of perceived romance, Halsey simply called McGravy a “king” for copying her caption and reproducing her cosplay (but in a skintight onesie instead of a bathing suit). Now, he has referenced that previous spark and the Overwatch community is all aboard. Some months later, with the dust settled, Halsey has Tweeted out a cryptic “I miss you,” prompting a response from the Overwatch League’s knight in shining armor. With fittingly cryptic, puzzled energy, McGravy quote-tweeted Halsey with a simple question: “What are we?” That is a tremendous question. Although likely in jest, it turns out the OW community includes even more tremendous wingmen as everyone, including the league itself, has latched onto his Tweet with unrelenting gas for the young esports bachelor. Amidst a sea of fans lending a “vouch,” the OWL chimed in with some potent support: “Hey McGravy, thanks for being a constant beacon of positivity for the league, while also providing a seemingly endless stream of content. Not to mention the great highlights you’ve given us. Also, thanks for letting us borrow your Tesla.” That sentiment was furthered by the OWL’s Vice President, Jon Spector, who added that “on behalf of the League I just wanted to say that while you are an incredibly gifted professional player you are an even better person. Thank you for everything.” But not everyone was interested in talking about McGravy’s skill on the virtual court, some fans were quicker to credit McGravy’s unbelievable selflessness in the medical field. Yo McGravy thanks for saving me from that hospital fire. Really inspirational how you kept going in to save more people after as well. Truly a generous man. — Megalass ~ Vtuber Extraordinaire! (@MegaCacturnt) August 21, 2020 https://twitter.com/cr1ppl3d_/status/1296893812971835392 Saving people from hospital fires, offering up numerous organs for transplant, it is very clear that McGravy has a lot of impressive qualities. With all of those compliments going his way, it is entirely possible that Halsey has simply not responded publicly yet because she is overwhelmed by what an intimidatingly successful, humble, and generous person he is. We know we would be.

Overwatch League’s Custa says he would sell his bathwater – “That’s free money!” – Dexerto
Overwatch League’s Custa says he would sell his bathwater – “That’s free money!” LA Valiant/YouTubeLA Valiant’s Australian OWL support star Custa says he would join the gamer bathwater craze started by Belle Delphine and sell his because it’s “free money”. In a new “Custa News Network” video on the Los Angeles Valiant’s YouTube channel, Scott ‘Custa’ Kennedy answered questions from multiple users. One asked, “is gamer girl bathwater a soup, stock or beverage?” “I’m gonna avoid that one,” Custa replied. “And just give it a pass Because that’s… the whole concept of what the gamer girl bathwater is just wild and I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole.” The question was a reference to Instagram model Belle Delphine’s infamous “Gamer Girl Bathwater” such she sold in containers for $30 a pop. Despite not wanting to talk about the bathwater, the support star admitted that if people were willing to spend $30 on his bathwater, he “100%” would sell his. “Why wouldn’t you sell it?” he asked. “It’s $30. That’s just free money.” “Think about it, I can have a bath, I’ve been draining all my water my entire life. I could be a millionaire,” he added. Custa isn’t the first Overwatch League star to reference or allude to Gamer Girl bathwater. Toronto Defiant’s Gods joked on Twitter about selling, “head sweat from the cranium of the gods. $5 for a sample, $30 for 8oz of my head sweat. Health benefits and good luck or your money back. (supernatural abilities not guaranteed.) DM me.” Belle Delphine’s batch of Gamer Girl Bathwater, which retailed for $30, sold out in a single day. It would be interesting (and scary) to see if any of these players actually attempt to sell their bathwater or head sweat. Custa started his Overwatch League career back in season one as a member of the Dallas Fuel. A blockbuster trade saw him head to the Valiant in exchange for French support powerhouse Unkoe. He became a stage champion last season when the Valiant defeated the then reigning two-time stage champions, New York Excelsior.

Overtimemegan speaks out after hacker leaks personal photos TikTok: overtimemeganTikTok star Overtimemegan has finally spoken out after deleting her account when hackers compromised her phone, leaking personal photos and videos of her. Megan ‘Overtimemegan’ Eugenio is a prominent creator on TikTok, where she boasts over two million followers. Although she has a wide library of videos that garner hundreds of thousands of views each, her account mysteriously disappeared in late April. Fans noticed that Megan had published a statement to her Instagram stories claiming that her phone had been hacked. The hackers had allegedly leaked personal photos and videos from her device, prompting her to delete her TikTok account. As told by TikToker NoahGlennCarter, Overtimemegan allegedly said she was “done with social media” and went dark online for several days. On May 2, Overtimemegan finally addressed the hack in a TikTok video that has already racked up two million views just hours after being posted. Overtimemegan returns to social media and addresses hack In the video, the TikToker explained that the personal content stolen from her phone was “sold, reproduced, and posted everywhere on the internet.” She clarified that what happened to her “was a crime,” and that anyone sharing the content online was also “participating in a crime.” “I’m a victim,” she said. “It’s not my fault. It doesn’t define my self-worth. And I know, as a woman, that that was not meant for the public eye. Overwatch caster responds to bizarre backlash over PewDiePie Tweet – Dexerto
Overwatch caster responds to bizarre backlash over PewDiePie Tweet R: Robert Paul for Blizzard EntertainmentWhen Overwatch League caster Brennon ‘Bren’ Hook posted a seemingly innocent Tweet suggesting that his followers subscribe to PewDiePie, he likely didn’t expect the backlash he received from some users. Swedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is currently the most subscribed creator on the platform, but is locked in a battle with Indian production company T-Series, chasing him for the top spot. Ongoing for months now, PewDiePie has maintained a slender lead, thanks largely to the help of other YouTubers, influencers and the internet at large. As such, the phrase ‘subscribe to PewDiePie’ has become somewhat viral, with users posting it on YouTube comments, Twitch chats and of course, Twitter. Bren decided to get in on the meme on January 25, simply posting ‘subscribe to PewDiePie please’ – but some of his followers were less than pleased with his endorsement. Some even went as far as to suggest that Bren was “down with people who use racial slurs”. I’ve been subscribed to pewdiepie since 2011. After his racism and acting like a dick, I unsubscribed. I’m so over hearing about this asshole. — :pensive: (@shave_on) January 26, 2019 Another user suggested that Blizzard, who operate the Overwatch League, would request that Bren delete the post. I give this a few days before blizzard tells you to delete this LOL — andrew / ADS (@ads_is_bads) January 26, 2019 The backlash stems from a previous controversy in late 2017, when PewDiePie called an opponent in a game “a fucking n****r”, later apologizing by explaining it was in the “heat of the moment” and the worst word he could think of “slipped out.” This is one of numerous issues which have caused PewDiePie to be such a polarizing figure, but Bren didn’t expect that his lighthearted post would be taken so seriously. Imagine thinking this tweet is serious. https://t.co/pzbilTdjQF — Brennon Hook (@BrenCasts) January 26, 2019 Esports journalist Richard Lewis was also bemused at the stance some fans took, although didn’t sound surprised that some had taken it so seriously as to think it represented Bren’s “personal politics”. Imagine looking at this innocuous tweet and thinking it was some sort of commentary about your personal politics. This is the state of the internet. — Richard Lewis (@RLewisReports) January 27, 2019 PewDiePie is indeed a ‘love him or hate him’ personality, but given the ongoing craze about keeping his sub count higher than T-Series, Bren’s Tweet was clearly posted in jest. Many fans are supporting PewDiePie as a means of standing up against the perceived favorable treatment afforded to large corporations on YouTube, and the less than favorable treatment of the everyday creator, which PewDiePie is the poster boy for. You can keep up with the battle for number one on YouTube between PewDiePie and T-Series here, with live subscriber counts.

Overtflow Reveals Why His Cameraman Was Removed from the KSI vs Logan Paul Weigh-Ins – Dexerto
Overtflow Reveals Why His Cameraman Was Removed from the KSI vs Logan Paul Weigh-Ins Overtflow- YouTubeYouTuber and gamer ‘Overtflow’ has released footage revealing why his cameraman, ‘Molives TV,’ was escorted from the KSI vs Logan Paul weigh-ins. Overtflow was one of the sixteen YouTubers set to fight on the KSI vs Logan Paul fight card on August 25th, 2018. He proceeded to the weigh-in with fellow YouTuber Molives TV, who served as his videographer during the session. However, Molives wasn’t in the venue for long. He was soon escorted out by security – with nary a word of explanation. In a video uploaded by Overtflow, Molives is seen being approached by a security guard who asks him to come to a secluded area of the venue o have a conversation. Molives gets out of his seat to follow the guard and is ultimately barred from filming the weigh in, despite his protests. “Are we good? “No, we’re not. No, mate, you’re leaving.” The footage cuts to a later segment where Overtflow explains the situation to Molives. According to Overtflow, Molives was expunged from the venue to a diss track where he referenced Jake Paul. More: KEEMSTAR Calls Out FouseyTube for Failing to Fulfil a Promise Made During ‘July 15th’ Documentary – In the diss track, Molives raps to Erika Costell, a YouTuber, singer, and Instagram model who is currently dating Jake Paul. “Apparently people thought you were Erika Costell’s ex and they didn’t want you there.” Later in the video, Overtflow admitted that he didn’t know of Molive TV’s YouTube background, but rather knew him as a videographer looking to broaden his resume. Although possessing a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Overtflow went on to lose his match against FaZe Sensei, getting knocked to the ground twice. While the two have a cordial relationship, it seems the same can’t be said for Molives TV and Jake Paul.

Overtime Megan gets sent to ER after drinking glass from broken cup Instagram: overtimemeganTikTok star Overtime Megan claimed she was sent to the emergency room after accidentally drinking glass from a broken cup. Popular influencer ‘Overtime Megan’ (real name Megan Eugenio) famously went dark on social media in April 2023 after a hacker leaked her explicit photos and videos online. The incident went extremely viral and sparked a major debate on social media for days. Megan released a statement about the ordeal a few days later, saying she wouldn’t let the hacker “break her spirit.” In the following months, Megan continued to remain largely offline… but in early October, she resumed her activity, shocking fans with a story that landed her in the emergency room. Overtime Megan sent to ER after accidentally drinking glass shards On October 8, Megan shared a series of snapshots from her life over the past few days on TikTok, showing the influencer’s travels in Toronto, Canada. While she was hanging out with the NELK Boys, a popular YouTube prank group, Megan claimed she drank out of a broken glass — and ended up ingesting some of said glass. “Ended up in the ER because the glass I drank from was broken,” she captioned one of her photos, which showed her wristband as she sat in a hospital. “Legit drank glass.” Luckily, Megan claimed that she was alright. “Doctor said I should be okay, but whew,” she wrote. “Toronto 1, Megan -10000.” She also answered a few questions in the comments, saying that it only took her about one and a half hours to get admitted and that she’s still doing alright so far. Things definitely could have gone worse for the influencer, as ingesting sharp objects can result in major damage to the esophagus and GI tract, and even cause infections. Thankfully, Megan is doing well and continues to post on social media, much to her fans’ delight.

Over 16k Twitch partners have matching Kick accounts, but there’s a catch – Dexerto
Over 16k Twitch partners have matching Kick accounts, but there’s a catch Kick/TwitchCommanderRoot, who’s known for making a variety of Twitch tools to help creators, found that over 16,000 Twitch partners have an account on Kick, but there’s a catch. Trainwreck’s new streaming platform Kick has exploded in popularity over the last few months, largely due to its creator-focused leadership and 95/5 sub-revenue split. Former Twitch star Adin Ross was among the first to move over to the new site, with Chess Grand Master Hikaru being the latest large creator to join. According to CommanderRoot, over 16,000 of the over 71,000 Twitch partners have an account on Kick that matches their name, but things may not be exactly as they appear. Over 16k Twitch partners are on Kick… sort of On April 11, 2023, CommanderRoot posted a graph showing the number of accounts on Kick, mentioning that he also cross-checked Twitch partner accounts with current Kick accounts. In the tweet, he revealed that of the 71,279 currently partnered streamers on Twitch, 16,109 of them have an account on Trainwreck’s new platform. However, there’s a bit of a catch to it as some of them may not have been created by the actual streamer. “My guess however would be that at least some of them are not the same owner,” CommanderRoot added. In a reply to another user, Commander mentioned that Kick has already suffered from follower bot raids, so it’s possible that part of the accounts he discovered are in fact bot accounts. For example, Twitch star NICKMERCS shares a name with an account on Kick — but he hasn’t shared any plans to stream on the budding platform, leading fans to believe he has no interest in it. Overidea VTuber Kyouka accused of abusing former partner and deceiving fans – Dexerto
Overidea VTuber Kyouka accused of abusing former partner and deceiving fans Bilibili: KyoukaOveridea member Kyouka has been accused of sexually harassing and abusing his former partner, as well as deceiving fans and potential investors. The abuse allegations were made public by Bingtang, another popular Chinese VTuber, with Kyouka responding shortly after. Kyouka was one of the most popular VTubers on Chinese streaming site Bilibili with the multi-lingual star acting as the face of Overidea. He has had some crossovers in the English VTuber space, collaborating with NIJISANJI EN stars like Vox Akuma and getting shoutouts from Fulgur Ovid. However, his career has been put in jeopardy after a series of allegations from former partner ‘Bingtang’, with the VTuber alleging numerous instances of abuse, sexual harassment, and more in a near 90-minute video. The video, named “three years of me and scum”, goes through Kyouka and Bingtang’s relationship and the allegedly manipulative behavior. While the two got to know each other by being popular creators in the space, they started growing closer in 2020 and early 2021. This included late-night calls, one in which Kyouka sent Bingtang a risque photo without consent: “One day in early 2021 I was on a bedtime phone call with you as usual, and you suddenly said ‘my balls are huge, do you want to see it?’ Then you sent me a photo of you in your underwear,” she said according to a translation. Kyouka would apparently refuse to make their relationship public in an attempt to help foster a new audience of “girlfriend fans” who would pine over him. Bingtang didn’t want it to be a secret, and being the bigger creator of the two, also helped Kyouka with business activities like networking, setting up Chinese accounts since he is a foreigner, and also loaning him money. However, the relationship started unraveling in the middle of 2021 after Kyouka took claim for a project the two worked on jointly, while also starting to cultivate a female fanbase and outwardly admitting he was single on stream. This led to Bingtang being harassed by said fans for clinging onto the VTuber and trying to use him for impressions and growth. “I thought you would admit our relationship, but you did quite the opposite,” she said. “You said you were single and reprimanding your girlfriend fans for being too sensitive and not trusting you. While you said you were single on stream, afterwards you would say ‘I love you my wife’. I felt angry.” One of Bingtang’s friends warned her about Kyouka’s behavior, having previously been in a relationship with the Overidea VTuber. “Deep down I still felt like something was wrong. I went to a friend who said ‘Kyouka is such a person, he will sacrifice others for his own interests. Do not be deceived by him.’” Later on, Kyouka admitted to soliciting sex workers, which is illegal in China. He would then message Bingtang with intimate details of the meetings. However, she later backtracked on that story, saying he “made it up to piss [Bingtang] off.” “From that day on I have a complete mental breakdown,” she said. “I couldn’t control my emotions.” Kyouka approached a number of female VTubers who posted vulnerable messages on social media, before chatting to them “very deeply, very privately, sometimes in voice calls, sometimes by sending photos to you and revealing personal information.” The VTuber would reportedly use this personal information to doxx the women and slander them behind closed doors. “You saved all the screenshots of those chats, spreading them everywhere. You were very happy when I felt jealous. These screenshots included addresses, schools, workplaces, and company secrets.” His alleged manipulation extended beyond Bingtang and his fandom, though. As NIJISANJI EN was getting popular in China, Kyouka hatched a “plan” to try and ride on their coattails. He later collaborated with some of these members. “He started mentioning NIJISANJI EN in broadcasts intentionally or unintentionally, including watching their streams live on broadcast. This would lead to fans making clips and spreading it. “This would get their attention and make them interested, and part of the plan was to slowly reduce the number of times he’d talk about NIJISANJI, even going to say ‘don’t mention irrelevant people’, making their fans your exclusive fans, and repeating this over and over again.” After Bingtang was guilted into sending Kyouka more than $14,000 USD as a birthday present — which was then refunded — fan infighting in Kyouka’s space got so severe one viewer reportedly attempted suicide. The VTuber did not make an effort to control the rumors, Bingtang said, and claimed Kyouka even encouraged her to leverage her male fans in the same way, which made her uncomfortable. “When your popularity increased leading up to your birthday, people would see me as associated with you. They would attack me, saying I was stealing your work, writing vicious things about my family, and sending me death threats. “I sent him a message asking him to manage his fans, and he got angry before deleting all contact with me. I cried and apologized over and over again hoping we could be reunited.” However at the end of it all, Bingtang decided to be done with it and release this video recounting her three years with the VTuber: “These 3 years of my early 20s, the best years of my youth, were given to a scumbag. I told him ‘I am not ashamed of falling in love with you, I’m only sorry to be deceived by you.’ “He cannot sing. He cannot dance. His Chinese is not very good. He considers VTubing a very easy money-making side hustle. I feel sorry for his fans for liking such a scumbag. They’re all victims of being deceived, just like me.” Kyouka then held a one-hour apology stream on Bilibili, which peaked at more than 35,000 viewers. But, viewers were generally not buying the streamer’s explanations, donating money to highlight chat messages attacking him. Bingtang also refuted all claims and defenses made. Overidea’s popularity in China has also taken a significant hit as fans distance themselves from the VTuber’s actions. Numerous fan groups have since shut down, while Overidea’s Bilibili page is now marked as “controversial”. Bingtang’s account was also targeted following her expose, and the video taken down. It has since been reuploaded on YouTube. Kyouka and Overidea’s Twitter and other social media channels are still active at the time of publishing. Other VTubers mentioned, such as those who collaborated with Kyouka, are also yet to make statements.

Outraged Dream SMP fans claim TwitchCon panel was a “disaster” – Dexerto
Outraged Dream SMP fans claim TwitchCon panel was a “disaster” The first day of TwitchCon San Diego 2022 boasted a panel featuring the wildly popular cast of the Dream SMP, but fans of the series were outraged after the event turned out to be a “disaster”. TwitchCon returned to San Diego for the first time since 2019, and the three-day event kicked off with a panel featuring beloved members of the Dream SMP. Fans anticipated a massive turnout as the Minecraft players each have millions of followers, and Dream – the largest of them all – had recently revealed his face to the internet. However, members of the fanbase were sorely disappointed with how the Dream SMP panel was executed. Many claimed that the event was “poorly organized” and pointed out several shortcomings that could have been avoided. Dream SMP TwitchCon panel: “He deserved better” The panel was held in a room that seated ~400 people, a number that the fans – hoping to ask their favorite streamers a question – greatly exceeded. But this was only the first issue that Dream stans pointed out. The most jarring issue was not how fans were packed in like sardines, but rather that Dream himself didn’t have a seat at the panel table. Dream had to sit on a chair placed off to the side of the table as there wasn’t enough room for him to fit on the panel, which also meant he wasn’t given his own microphone. To make matters worse, Dream was cut out of frame when the panel began as the stream only stretched the length of the table. Many Dream fans took to Twitter to air their complaints about how the panel was run. One user posted a photo of another room in the convention that could have been used to seat more fans as well as give Dream enough space to be behind the table with his friends. Luckily, the cooking show held on the second day of TwitchCon was better suited to hold the large number of fans who had come to see the members of the Dream SMP. However, many fans felt Dream deserved better than the “disaster” of a panel at his first TwitchCon.

Ouro Kronii asks fans to stop shipping VTuber with other Hololive idols – Dexerto
Ouro Kronii asks fans to stop shipping VTuber with other Hololive idols YouTube: Ouro KroniiOuro Kronii has addressed their concerns about fans shipping other Hololive idols together. While the Warden of Time is fine with shipping as a concept, they stressed the importance of professionalism with her co-workers and asked fans to stop shipping her with fellow agency stars. VTuber Ouro Kronii has amassed a hefty and loyal following, as the Hololive Council member draws in viewers across the world. Her fans have gone to enormous lengths to show their admiration for her, though the Hololive idol has addressed important boundaries to adhere to. While Kronii appreciates the passion from the Hololive community, the Warden of Time requested fans stop shipping fellow Hololive idols together. During a recent livestream, Kronii took a break from playing The Last Campfire to speak with her fans more directly. On the matter of new Snapchat requests from fans, Kronii said “so about some of these new faces I’ve been seeing, aw man. I didn’t think I’d have to address this.” “Okay, I think I have to give you guys a little talk. I think the people who know would already know, but, don’t ship people, it’s weird,” she continued. The Hololive idol clarified “especially when we’re co-workers, do you ship your co-workers? Think about it.” “And if we think logically, why would anyone date someone from the same workplace? That’s not being professional. Everyone’s being professional here.” Kronii stressed the importance of maintaining credibility: “Why would anyone want to risk damaging their reputation to be in a relationship with someone here? Realistically speaking… you guys know me better.” While the passion of Kronii’s fans may be well-intentioned, the VTuber claimed it is “hard to understand” why her followers are eager to see Hololive idols in a romantic setting. “We don’t like every guy that we see or talk to. And the guys feel the same way too, we have a thing called preference and taste,” she joked. Kronii did later specify “shipping in general is okay as long as both parties are comfortable with it,” so while the Warden of Time is aware of the fact fans love to interact with their favorite streamer, she’s asking them to keep it somewhat civil when her co-workers are in the mix.

Outback Steakhouse regulars won’t want to see this viral TikTok – Dexerto
Outback Steakhouse regulars won’t want to see this viral TikTok Wikimedia Commons: Alton / Unsplash.com: Tim ToomeyA video uploaded by an Outback Steakhouse cook is taking TikTok by storm as users sound off in the comments over the state of the restaurant’s grill. Outback Steakhouse is a popular Australian-themed restaurant, specializing in such vittles as the Bloomin’ Onion burger, steamed lobster tails, and, of course, steak. While the eatery is a popular spot for many diners, the chain is coming under fire after a cook at one of the Steakhouse locations uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of his everyday job to TikTok. The 14-second clip shows another worker tending to items on a grill — your usual shrimp on the barbie and a few steaks. Nothing too outrageous, right? However, the camera pans left shortly afterward, showing a grill that’s caked with blackened grease before turning back to the other kitchen staff going about their workday. Read More: Top 20 most followed TikTok accounts – The video, captioned, “Getting whopped on a Monday” (and appropriately set to Tyga’s ‘Taste’), quickly garnered over 50,000 views… but not for positive reasons. Viral Outback Steakhouse TikTok sparks debate online Commenters sounded off regarding the kitchen’s cleanliness — or lack thereof, with many disgusted by the state of the grease-caked grill. “This makes me never wanna eat out,” one user wrote, as first reported by the Daily Dot. “I’ve heard if you saw how the kitchen looks in restaurants, you wouldn’t eat,” said another. However, other commenters came to the restaurant’s defense, with one user replying: “A lot of y’all never been in a commercial kitchen and it shows.” The original TikTok has since been deleted, although it was reuploaded by another user on the platform. The Daily Dot reached out to both the TikToker and the restaurant for comment, who have yet to respond at the time of writing.

OTK’s BruceDropEmOff blown away after hitting massive Twitch subscriber milestone – Dexerto
OTK’s BruceDropEmOff blown away after hitting massive Twitch subscriber milestone Twitch: BruceDropEmOffOTK creator Bruce ‘BruceDropEmOff’ Condones jumped for joy after he finally hit 30k subscribers on Twitch. Twitch streamer BruceDropEmOff became one of OTK’s newest members in March 2022, joining one of the most popular creator groups in the streaming community. That was until Sodapoppin signed up, of course. Before then, however, Bruce had already built up an impressive fanbase thanks to his Minecraft and Dead By Daylight streams. Subsequently, bringing his total number of Twitch followers to 833k as of writing. However, the GTA V player has just hit another milestone in his Twitch career after finally reaching 30k subscribers on the Amazon-owned platform and he couldn’t have been more delighted with the news. BruceDropEmOff hits 30k Twitch subs BruceDropEmOff was counting down the moment that he reached the incredible milestone during his livestream. As his chat started to fill with sub notifications, Bruce’s excitement started to build as numbers quickly started to reach 30k. When the subs finally reached his target, Bruce leapt out of his chair with delight: “30 f**king thousand! And that’s a f**king wrap […] Look at it!” His fans were similarly pleased for the streamer. Some of his fellow OTK members also shared their congratulations. “F**king congrats man. That’s huge,” said Asmongold who co-founded One True King back in October 2020 with his fellow Twitch stars Mizkif, Esfand, Tipster, and Rich Campbell. Rich also sent along his best wishes. However, Mizkif also saw it as a chance to poke fun at Bruce. Bruce’s sub numbers continued to build up following on from the exciting moment. Given how quickly he picked up the hype to reach this latest milestone, it’s likely it won’t be long until he reaches the next one.

OTK’s reaction after pulling ultra-rare Dr Disrespect Game Fuel trading card is priceless – Dexerto
OTK’s reaction after pulling ultra-rare Dr Disrespect Game Fuel trading card is priceless Mountain Dew/MizKifOTK members Esfand, Mizkif and Asmongold couldn’t believe they pulled an ultra-rare Dr Disrespect Game Fuel trading card. But, in the end it, was too good to be true. Mountain Dew Game Fuel has a new line of trading cards featuring a ton of streamers and esports orgs. CouRage, Optic and FaZe are all featured, along with OTK and its members Esfand, Mizkif and Asmongold. This latter trio decided to open a pack on stream on November 13, and what was inside absolutely shocked them. Ultra-rare Dr Disrespect trading card unpacked A five-card pack is included if you buy a case of Game Fuel until the end of December 2021. Out of all the cards though, Dr Disrespect’s is undoubtedly the rarest, with only five total being put into circulation. These Doc cards are a sort of “magic ticket” where if you unpack one, you win the grand prize of signed gear by the Two-Time himself. Unfortunately, an in-person tour of the Arena isn’t included. After calling Atlanta Faze coach Crowder “coworker” by mistake, Asmongold, Mizkif, and Esfand seemed to be legitimately shocked when Doc’s card appeared. But was it actually a super-legendary luck of the draw? Fortunately for the rest of us, it doesn’t seem to be. Mizkif, Esfand, Asmon, and even OTK itself all have their own Game Fuel cards, which means this unboxing was sponsored content. The official Game Fuel Twitter even joked that they had “wished a sixth Doc card into existence.” However, that doesn’t mean their surprise wasn’t real though and, besides being an entertaining clip, it was also one of the rare instances where Doc’s likeness has appeared on Twitch since his 2019 ban from the site.

OTK streamer Tectone freaks out upon leaking staggering Lost Ark sponsorship payout – Dexerto
OTK streamer Tectone freaks out upon leaking staggering Lost Ark sponsorship payout Twitch: TectoneOTK streamer Tectone accidentally revealed the jaw-dropping amount he was paid for a Lost Ark sponsorship, and his reaction was golden. In the middle of a normal stream, Tectone was visited by fellow OTK members Emiru and Mizkif and they decided to check out the stream of the newest OTK member ExtraEmily. But something popped up on the screen that took the streamer aback. An Outlook notification with the subject line ‘BILL’ read: OTK Media, Inc sent you USD 35,000.00 Memo: Inv #LostArk. Yes, Tectone was paid a mouth-watering $35,000 for a sponsorship deal with the game Lost Ark. And Tectone too realized just how insane the information was to the average viewer that he immediately freaked out at the leak. Tectone instantly switched the stream to his main camera and proceeded to freak out, running around the room. Meanwhile, Emiru and Mizkif just stood there, looking at each other in disbelief that a private email could leak in such a ridiculous manner. “You have emails show up on your main monitor?” questioned Mizkif. “I don’t know how to turn it off man!” Tectone replied, shouting. It’s quite clear Tectone was not too mad at the email leaking as he jokingly kept trying to convince his viewers that they did not see anything. And as Mizkif and Emiru were leaving his room, he told Mizkif that the sponsorship was done in November, and he is only getting paid now in February. He proceeded to check his phone, and even paused the stream for 30 seconds, to make sure the money arrived safely into his account. “If I got banned for that, that would’ve f***ing blown” he joked.

OTK threatens to leave Twitch over branded stream restrictions – Dexerto
OTK threatens to leave Twitch over branded stream restrictions OTKNetwork, TwitchStreaming group OTK has seemingly threatened to leave Twitch after the platform unrolled new guidelines and restrictions of branded broadcasts. On June 6, the internet was set alight with backlash against Twitch after the platform announced new guidelines for branded content starting on July 1. These guidelines restrict what sorts of advertisements are allowed on branded streams, as well as what content is and isn’t allowed to be advertised on the site. For example, Twitch now prohibits “political content, adult-oriented products or services, weapons, tobacco products, certain financial products and services,” on top of “medical facilities and products.” Alcohol, however, is allowed — with some restrictions. That’s not all; Twitch also states that no “burned-in” display ads, audio ads, or video ads are allowed on branded streams and that logos on-stream must be no bigger than 3% of screen size. These restrictions have sparked a wave of backlash against Twitch, with the likes of MMO star Asmongold outright calling for a boycott of the platform in the hopes they’ll roll back this decision. Other broadcasters such as CouRage have used the outrage as a way to advertise for other sites like YouTube, where a slew of other top broadcasters have moved over the past few years. Now, it looks like a major streaming organization might be making the jump as a result of Twitch’s latest business decisions. OTK co-founder threatens to pull org from Twitch amid branded content restrictions Tips Out, co-founder of streaming and gaming org OTK (of which Asmongold is a member), published a statement via Twitter in response to the latest Twitch news, saying the group will leave the streaming platform if these changes go through. “If this goes through, OTKnetwork will be leaving Twitch,” he wrote. “This is a direct attack on our business, staff, and all of the hard work we have put into our organization.” If this goes through, @OTKnetwork will be leaving Twitch. This is a direct attack on our business, staff, and all of the hard work we have put into our organization.@djclancy999 — Tips Out (@TipsOut) June 6, 2023 In addition, Tips also said that OTK will release an official statement on the situation later in the day. Mizkif claims OTK may move to YouTube, Rumble, or Kick Mizkif, also a part of OTK, spoke out about the situation as well, saying that the org will likely move to YouTube, Kick, or Rumble if Twitch’s new restrictions become law for the platform’s streaming talent. “The Streamer Awards will not be possible,” he wrote. “Any high quality production will be too expensive to make and will not be possible.” OTK pens open letter to Twitch amid branded content restrictions Shortly after these statements, OTK published an open letter to Twitch, where it harshly criticized the platform for its “anti-creator” policies while reminding the site of its own ongoing live shows. “These shows, as well as other community favorites, cannot exist under the suffocating canopy of these new branded guidelines,” their statement read. “Small streamers who rely on their once-a-month Hello Fresh sponsorship cannot pay their bills under these new guidelines.” Although several OTK members threatened to leave Twitch for good, it looks like any potential move is still up in the air after the platform apologized for the backlash their new guidelines created and promised to remedy their “language” in the near future.

OTK puts Mizkif “on leave” as third-party investigates streamer – Dexerto
OTK puts Mizkif “on leave” as third-party investigates streamer YouTube: MizkifOne True King (OTK) co-founder Mizkif has been placed on leave from the organization amid a third-party investigation into involvement with sexual harassment drama involving fellow Twitch streamers Slick and Adrianna Lee, as well as racist and homophobic remarks surfacing from leaked DMs. Following a whirlwind 24 hours in which Trainwrecks exposed Mizkif’s involvement in sexual harassment drama, the OTK co-founder has now been placed on leave and is stepping away from his responsibilities with the organization while a third-party investigation takes place. Shortly after Adrianna Lee revealed new details on an incident involving Slick, one in which Mizkif and Maya allegedly asked her to keep quiet, Ice Poseidon entered the mix. The former streamer leaked inflammatory messages from Mizkif featuring both racist and homophobic slurs. “Due to the seriousness of what’s been brought forward, we have begun the process of contacting a third-party legal organization to investigate the issue in detail,” the official OTK Twitter account shared on September 20. “OTK strongly condemns sexual harassment, assault, and bigotry of all forms,” the announcement read. As this investigation is conducted, Mizkif will be distanced from the company he helped establish. “I want to apologize to OTK, our staff, and our partners who put their trust in me every day,” the Twitch star followed up in his own statement. “OTK has informed me that the organization is in the process of contracting a third party to investigate [my actions]. During this time, I will be taking a leave of absence and stepping away from organizational duties.” Currently, it’s unclear roughly how long the investigation may take. It’s safe to expect Mizkif will be away from not only OTK, but social media on the whole for at least a few weeks. As for his future as a content creator, it remains to be seen whether Twitch or Youtube will take action to deplatform him after the investigation.

OTK investigation finds Mizkif not guilty of sexual assault cover-up – Dexerto
OTK investigation finds Mizkif not guilty of sexual assault cover-up Twitch: MizkifMizkif has been found not guilty of allegedly covering up sexual assault according to a recent update from OTK but he isn’t returning to the org’s board of directors just yet. Back in September 2022 during a spat with Twitch star Trainwreck, it was alleged that Mizkif had helped cover up a sexual assault incident between streamers CrazySlick and Adrianah Lee. Mizkif issued a statement days later as OTK placed him on leave from the organization pending a third-party investigation. OTK has issued an update to the investigation, revealing that he has been found not guilty but will not be returning to his seat on the board of directors at this time. OTK issues update on Mizkif investigation The OTK team issued the long-awaited update in a tweet on December 31, 2022. In the message, they revealed the name of the law firm that they retained on September 20 and that it was granted free reign to gather all relevant facts and witnesses surrounding the situation. “According to Jackson Walker’s investigation, investigations counsel did not find direct evidence that Mizkif attempted to minimize or cover up sexual assault as alleged,” it read. However, due to Mizkifs “callous disregard towards the severity of sexual misconduct and racial prejudice in our space,” the Twitch streamer has been suspended from his duties on the board of directors. They do note that his status as a member of OTK has been reinstated. At the time of writing, Mizkif has remained quiet across nearly all of his platforms and has not made a comment regarding his reinstatement into the org.

OTK Emiru fights through her most “psychotic” Twitch unban requests – Dexerto
OTK Emiru fights through her most “psychotic” Twitch unban requests YouTube, EmiruTwitch streamer, cosplay celebrity, and OTK member Emiru has a wide variety of fans and that means her chat can get… spicy. In a new video, she battled through her most ridiculous Twitch unban requests. Emiru has made quite the name for herself, with beloved cosplays helping her reach “explosive” growth on Twitch – eventually leading to her being signed by OTK. Since joining the creator group, she’s continued to create content with even more fans than before. When she’s not fending off Alinity’s scandalous assumptions or recreating Komi Can’t Communicate characters, she’s knee-deep in League of Legends and Just Chatting streams. As anyone who’s been in a Twitch chat knows, people can get pretty… interesting – especially when the streamer is a woman wearing anything other than full-on sweats. As a cosplayer, it’s probably no surprise that Emiru’s unban requests range from “down bad” to outright “psychotic” (in her words). Emiru goes through her Twitch unban requests Emiru went into the unbanning session with clear expectations: “It’s going to be bad, but I don’t care.” Almost immediately, she proved that nonchalance – forgiving someone who was banned after one comment: “If I was a girl, I’d f****r myself till I broke a nail to just to experience it.” Noting that the person wasn’t “being creepy” to her specifically, Emiru gave them the unban and told them “good joke!” Later, though, others weren’t able to earn the same mercy. After going through a number of messages with people calling her the “M-word” (also known as “mommy”), Emiru landed on someone who spammed “EMIRU HAVE MY BABIES.” In response, Emiru denied the unban request and left them with a simple explanation: “Bruh, you are psychotic for f**k sake.” A lot of Emiru’s unban requests were denied, including ones who hit chat with things that are far too vulgar for us to even describe here. For those who want to know how to be unbanned by Twitch streamers, though, this video does give some clear guidance. In 2018, someone received a permaban for asking Emiru to see her toes. Four years later, they sent an unban request saying that they are “no longer into that stuff.” Appreciating that committed length of time and trusting them, Emiru unbanned them and explained that “we appreciate a reformed man and/or woman.”

OTK Co-Founder Rich Campbell argues to unban viewer sharing graphic Hasan fan fiction – Dexerto
OTK Co-Founder Rich Campbell argues to unban viewer sharing graphic Hasan fan fiction During a ban appeal segment on Nmplol’s Twitch stream, Rich Campbell defended a fan who was banned for sharing Hasan Pike fan fiction. One True King members Nicky ‘Nmplol’ Polom and Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk were recently joined by OTK Co-Founder Rich Campbell during a Ban Council segment on stream. This is where OTK members review Twitch ban appeals and decide whether users should be freed from their virtual time out. While Campbell struggled to grasp the rules of the Ban Council – often issuing his judgment too early – he enjoyed providing creative reasons for why users should be unbanned. A little bit into the bans, Emiru began reading a lengthy message from a user named ‘keysanders’ but stopped after she realized the direction the message was heading. Fortunately, Campbell picked up where she left off to indulge the viewers with a bit of Hasan fan fiction. Rich Campbell votes to unban fan fiction poster Halfway into reading the post, nmplol attempted to stop Campbell after the text became too graphic, but Campbell continued on. Nicky then covered the text with the webcam box so viewers couldn’t read Hasan’s fictional actions. After Campbell finished the passage, he read the appeal message which specified that keysanders was banned for posting this in the offline chat. “Why did they get banned in the offline chat for that?” Rich questioned. Nmplol stated he didn’t think users were allowed to talk about that kind of activity on Twitch. To which Rich responded, “It comes down to how Hasan likes being talked about.” Ricky commented that he didn’t think Hasan cares about what anyone says, and Rich agreed using that as an argument for why the user should be unbanned. Campbell elaborated by explaining how he thought the Hasan fan fiction was funny and enjoyed it when his own viewers wrote fan fiction about him. “Usually it wouldn’t be about Hasan. Sometimes it would be, sometimes it would be about Sonic the Hedgehog.” He went on to list other creators that were featured in his fan-fics like Mizkif and Asmongold. Ultimately, keysanders was unbanned as Emiru, Campbell, and Malena unanimously voted to let the user join chat once more.

OTK co-founder Rich Campbell resigns amid sexual assault allegations – Dexerto
OTK co-founder Rich Campbell resigns amid sexual assault allegations Instagram: Rich CampbellOTK Co-Founder Rich Campbell has resigned from the org just hours after sexual assault allegations against him surfaced on Twitter. On December 16, a Twitch streamer by the name of Azalia Lexi posted a twit longer about Rich Cambell with details about alleged sexual assault. In the post, Lexi revealed that she had a “very up and down” friendship and relationship for four years and started their physical relationship in 2019. She claimed that in 2021, Rich Campbell assaulted her and sent her into the streets at 3 AM with “nowhere to go.” Just hours after her statement began making its way around Twitter, Rich announced has resigned from OTK at the request of the org — and will share his side of the story soon. Rich Cambell resigns from OTK Network Later that day, Rich responded to the allegations and revealed he had resigned from his position within One True Kings. “I have read the statements made against me today. I will share my side of the story, but need some time to collect my thoughts,” he said. “OTK has requested that I resign from my position, and I have agreed. I will make an update soon.” This comes just three months after OTK placed Mizkif on leave from his duties following allegations that he covered up sexual assault. While he’s addressed the investigation on stream since then, there still hasn’t been any update on Mizkifs stance with the org. OTK responds to allegations against Rich Campbell Shortly after Rich announced he had resigned from OTK, the org made a statement on its Twitter account. “Today we learned of troubling allegations made against one of our founders, Rich Campbell. Rich has resigned from OTK immediately,” they said. “OTK stands firmly against sexual harassment and assault and is committed to upholding its core values. “We’d like to thank our community for the continuous support and share your disappointment.” This story is developing…

OTK announces new podcast with Asmongold, Emiru and Tectone Twitter: steakandeggsStreaming group OTK is kicking off a brand-new podcast, Steak and Eggs, featuring Twitch stars Asmongold, Emiru, and Tectone as hosts. Here’s everything you need to know to tune in. OTK’s January 31 shareholder’s meeting revealed a ton of upcoming projects for the gaming and entertainment organization. On top of announcing popular Twitch streamer Emiru as a new co-owner of the brand, they’re also reviving an old podcast in a totally new way. In September 2022, OTK launched a podcast called ‘The Noodle Shop,’ hosted by Twitch streamers Emiru, Tectone, and former OTK co-founder Rich Campbell. The show centered primarily around anime, manga, and gacha-style games — but since Campbell’s removal from the organization last year, it looks like some big changes have been made to the series. OTK announces new ‘Steak and Eggs’ podcast During their shareholder’s meeting, OTK revealed they’ll be starting a brand-new podcast titled ‘Steak and Eggs.’ While the group’s previous podcast centered around anime, this new show will have a broader focus on “gaming, anime, pop culture, and a whole lot more.” Emiru and Tectone will be returning as hosts alongside uber-popular World of Warcraft streamer and OTK co-founder Asmongold. How to watch OTK’s ‘Steak and Eggs’ podcast Fans can tune into Steak and Eggs on the show’s official YouTube channel, where new episodes will be posted every Friday starting on February 17. While the previous ‘Noodle Shop’ podcast was available to listen to on most major platforms, it’s unclear at the time of writing if Steak and Eggs will get the same treatment. Thus far, the Steak and Eggs podcast reveal has been met with excitement from fans, who are already anticipating the first episode in February. For now, they’ll have to keep an eye on their calendars as OTK continues to build up its brand with its very own video game.

OTK claim “cancel culture” is hurting new streamers – Dexerto
OTK claim “cancel culture” is hurting new streamers One True King members have claimed that cancel culture is hurting new and upcoming streamers in the ‘POGGERS’ community. Twitch is a vastly different platform from what it once was. Over the years, we’ve seen many streamers have their rise and fall on the Amazon-owned platform. For a while, one clique known as the ‘POGGERS’ group dominated the platform for the most part. Consisting of streamers such as xQc, and the majority of the OTK members, fans came to love and adore the laidback and ‘scuffed’ shows. However, in a recent live stream members of the group debated why up-and-coming streamers struggle to make their way into the community, and it apparently all comes down to cancel culture. OTK members believe “cancel culture” ruins new streamers During Nmp’s February 18 broadcast with Mizkif, Esfand, and his girlfriend Malena, they debated why the ‘POGGERS’ community has plateaued. “This is the problem with the POGGERS community, we’re not getting any new blood, we got extraemily and we’ve already taken her!” Nmp claimed. “I know, I know, I agree man. I always say that,” Mizkif responded. However, according to Malena, the issue actually lies with ‘cancel culture’, and streamers being too afraid to host shows like they once did. “No, she’s 100% right, it’s cancel culture stopping us,” Mizkif agreed. “People getting afraid that people on stream are going to cancel you and you’re gonna get banned. That’s stopped a lot of people from doing it.” The group then further debated whether or not the content they used to make is actually suitable for the platform in today’s climate. Mizkif claimed it’d be “over for the streamer”s if they went back to creating the same content that they made years ago. The ‘POGGERS’ community is reluctant to allow new and upcoming creators into their streaming clique. Meanwhile, other groups such as the W/L community, featuring streamers like Adin Ross and Kai Cenat are on the rise.

Oreo ‘easy cheese’ flavour inspired by TikTok trend goes viral but it’s not real – Dexerto
Oreo ‘easy cheese’ flavour inspired by TikTok trend goes viral but it’s not real Instagram @snackolatorOreo have jokingly teased a new Easy Cheese flavor, inspired by the popular TikTok trend, and people are grossed out. However, it’s not real. Popular food blogger snackolator has suggested that Oreo will be releasing a new Easy Cheese Flavor. The packaging shows Oreo’s classic cookie, but with a bright yellow helping of Easy Cheese’s whipped cheddar packed inside. It also contains an image of Easy Cheese’s classic canister, as well as a slogan stating, ‘Tastes just like cheesecake’. However, there is one giveaway in the image that proves that something is amiss. At the bottom of the packaging, it says “This product is not real.” However, that’s not stopped some viewers from thinking otherwise. “I will try it if its real,” said one. “I hope this is fake. Nothing surprises me with them anymore,” another added. “What in god’s green?! Putting cheese in a cookie?! Okay… there are some lines you don’t cross!” another commenter said. What is the easy cheese Oreo trend? The weird flavor joke comes after the viral TikTok trend of 2020, where people were adding whipped cheese to their Oreo cookies, claiming that it tasted “Just like cheesecake.” During 2020, countless videos circulated the internet, with users opening Oreo cookies, and squirting whipped cheese inside. Popular TikTokers, partyshirt, showed themselves, as well as other people trying out the trend. They asked the first user, “Have you tried Oreos and Easy Cheese? It tastes just like cheesecake.” He admits that he has not, before cutting to another clip of him creating the “Leaning tower of chees-a,” with a generous dollop of whipped cheese on his Oreo cookie. He gave it a 10/10. The next users were even more vociferous in their love of the quirky food combination, claiming: “That is the best thing ever – I know it’s sick to say, but you gotta’ try it, go try it.” Some commenters, however, were less than impressed. Many called it “Gross,” while another said, “This is so bad for you,” and “There’s no way this tastes like cheesecake.”

Osu! streamer embarrassed as mom walks in at worst possible moment – Dexerto
Osu! streamer embarrassed as mom walks in at worst possible moment Osu ‘peppy’ / Twitter: ImRikitaTwitch streamer ‘imRikita’ got incredibly embarrassed after an osu! song was mistaken for something pretty inappropriate. Osu! is a rhythm game where players have to touch and move points on their screen, based on a chosen song. The speed of the game is based on the tempo of the song, so many players choose to play fast-paced songs for exciting games. Streamer imRikita was playing a custom Anime themed map set when he was interrupted by his mom, who thought it was something completely different. This happened during the American’s usual osu! stream on January 19 as he suddenly paused the broadcast, seemingly speaking to someone who had just entered his room. “Wait what – you can hear it? What… no, it’s a song!” he said as he replied to someone who could not be heard on stream. Many viewers assumed that someone suggested they could hear an adult video coming from the streamer’s room, which isn’t too hard to believe considering how the song sounded. ImRikita then sounded incredibly upset and on the edge of tears, saying he was “so embarrassed”, before letting out a laugh and telling his stream that he needed to go and explain that he was just listening to a song. The American returned shortly after, clearly embarrassed as he claimed he was “dying on the inside” and that he couldn’t believe what had happened. Regardless, he got back into the game but decided it was for the best to skip the song that had caused the embarrassment. Meanwhile, his chat were absolutely loving it, laughing at the situation throughout and making jokes about Rikita getting caught watching adult content. Later on, some viewers did offer some sympathies as they claimed they could feel the embarrassment themselves. The streamer will probably have to turn down his volume and be a bit more careful if he wants to avoid another embarrassing situation in the future.

Orangutan goes viral for driving around while obeying road rules, but is it real? – Dexerto
Orangutan goes viral for driving around while obeying road rules, but is it real? YouTube/AnimaliaDubaiAn orangutan trained to drive around in a golf cart and other vehicles is going viral for his impressive ability to drive safely, but is the video even real? Animals doing human things is always quite an interesting sight to behold and an orangutan successfully driving a golf cart without any issues is definitely no exception. On July 30, a video was uploaded to X, formerly known as Twitter, showing a primate being quite the driver, being cautious and even slowing down at certain sections. The clip spread like wildfire, amassing over 16M views in just a day, but in a world filled with AI videos, it’s hard to know what is real. So is this video of a real orangutan or is it faked? Orangutan stuns viewers by driving golf cart better than some humans As it turns out, the viral video is in fact real. Yes, orangutans can drive golf carts and pretty darn well judging by the clip. Originally uploaded in 2021, the clip is of a primate named Rambo and she can drive a bit more than just a golf kart, being able to take control of a sports car, motorbike, and more. The video was filmed in Dubai at the menagerie and posted to the YouTube channel ‘Anamalia,’ which aims to “showcase the Sheikha’s incredible wildlife homed in her beachside sanctuary by the iconic Burj Al Arab.” In 2022, footage of Rambo driving blew up when it was featured on Stephen Colbert, but it seems like many have forgotten the segment considering how it only just went ultra viral yet again. Even more impressive, it doesn’t seem like Rambo has lost her touch. Just two months ago, a new video was uploaded showing the orangutan driving around even more while maintaining full control of the vehicle. For more monkey business, check out this story about a Kick streamer being chased around by an animal during an IRL broadcast.

OpTic’s Scump on competitive Fortnite – “People just hide in boxes” – Dexerto
OpTic’s Scump on competitive Fortnite – “People just hide in boxes” Professional Call of Duty player Seth ‘Scump’ Abner gave a scathing review of competitive Fortnite, explaining why the constant 1×1 builds and ‘heal offs’ ruin the experience. The OpTic Gaming star is a fan of Fortnite, at least in terms of casual play, but isn’t so keen on the competitive side of the battle royale game, largely due to certain gameplay styles that have emerged. He points out the reliance on ‘hiding’ in 1×1 builds near the end game to ensure a higher placing, and the frustrating ‘heal-offs’ – where the player with more heals has the advantage, rather than the player with more skill. Following the conclusion of the Fall Skirmish, which saw FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore net $500,000 for 1st place, Scump discussed competitive Fortnite on his stream. He explains that with the way it is currently played, it is “not a competitive game” in his opinion, calling it “hiding in boxes” – referring to the 1×1 builds strategy. He goes on to be more specific, highlighting the issue of heal-offs, which competitive Fortnite players and fans themselves have been vocal about. Heal-offs are typically late game situations when only a few players remain, and the winner is often determined by who has more heals (i.e. med-kits, bandages, shields etc.) and who uses them at the right time. It means that gun skill and building ability become secondary to heals. Scump has been a professional esports player for over a decade and his sentiments are often shared by others, not limited to Fortnite but to all battle royale games. Due to the very RNG (random number generated) nature of these games, where weapons, heals and equipment are all subject to chance, battle royale games could be forgiven for a lack of competitive ‘integrity’. However, Scump’s complaints are more focused on play styles elected by players themselves, rather than an issue at the core of the game and its mechanics.

OpTic Maniac Gets Absolutely Roasted by a Young Boy Live on CouRage’s Stream The internet, being the hub of entertainment that it is, can sometimes produce the most hilarious moments at the most unexpected times. This is especially true for website like Twitch, which is the home to some very entertaining and funny personalities. One such Twitch streamer is OpTic Gamings Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, whose electric charisma and great sense of humor make his streams a great source of amusing content. However, in this instance, it wasn’t CouRage who was cracking the jokes but rather a young boy named Conner, with whom the streamer plays Fortnite with sometimes after thew two randomly met during a match a few weeks ago. CouRage and Conner were playing Fortnite again on May 2nd with OpTic’s Nick ‘MaNiaC’ Kershner and Austin ‘Pamaj’ Pamajewon. When MaNiaC’s in-game character didn’t appear on-screen at first, Conner decided to have some fun and roast the former Halo professional with some hilarious comments. Connor: “I see MaNiaC but his character wasn’t there. […] Cuz he’s invisible… to everyone including women. MaNiaC: “Wait, what does that mean?” Conner: “You’re more of a window than a door.” CouRage: [Laughing] “Why is Conner already throwing haymakers?” MaNiaC: “Why am I getting verbals from Conner?!” This moment was especially funny because of several reasons. One, the roast was very sophisticated in its wording coming from someone as young as Conner. Two, the comments were perfectly aimed at MaNiaC because he is someone who has a lot of self-confidence when interacting with women. Well played Conner, well played.

OpTic legend MaNiaC opens up on sobriety & mental health in new doco – Dexerto
OpTic legend MaNiaC opens up on sobriety & mental health in new doco OpTic GamingNick ‘MaNiaC’ Kershner has opened up about his mental health issues and the rocky road to recovery in an emotional documentary released by OpTic Gaming just weeks after rejoining his old org. MaNiaC had it all. He broke onto the competitive Halo scene, and his popularity snowballed to the point where he was asked to sign with OpTic Gaming. The rest is history. But unfortunately, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The game’s competitive scene dwindled, and he was pushed into retirement, although the organization kept him on board as a content creator. However, the situation made him feel lost and uncertain. Then, on top of that, people on the internet made ruthless comments about him, saying he was “lazy” and a “waste of space” in the OpTic Gaming house. It made the dark time even harder for him to deal with, and eventually, his mental health deteriorated, and he resorted to substance abuse. Fortunately, HECZ reached out to him and helped him turn his life around. “I haven’t told anyone this… [but] at my lowest moment of 2020, I was afraid I would just be so low and just shoot myself in the head. That was a serious realization for me,” said Maniac. “HECZ pretty much got the hint [that] ‘he needs help,’ and he texted me one day when I was at my lowest [point] of all time… and he basically said let me help you. And I responded, and I was like, okay.” HECZ sent him to a rehabilitation center and made sure he was showing up. “I did the full thing, and that was probably the best thing I could have done.” Since then, MaNiaC has turned a new leaf. He’s been sober for ninety days and claims he’s doing better than ever “in all aspects.” MaNiaC is eternally grateful for the support and believes that he’d still be in a dark place if it weren’t for the help. The eye-opening documentary — which was directed by Robert Rogers — was a stern reminder that people aren’t alone in their struggles. It’s important to reach out and seek and accept help. MaNiaC’s story is a testament to that. If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, and you would like to talk to someone, please reach out and call the Suicide Prevention Helpline 1-800-273-8255 (USA), the Samaritans 116-123 (UK), or Lifeline 13-11-14 (AUS).

Optic HECZ reveals his favorite sneakers from insane $100,000 collection – Dexerto
Optic HECZ reveals his favorite sneakers from insane $100,000 collection Influenced by DEXERTOLegendary OpTic Gaming founder Hector ‘HECZ’ Rodriguez has taken us inside his incredible $100,000 sneaker closet to show off some of his most expensive (and ugliest) footwear. Fans know the Greenwall and its players like to keep it drippy – showing up with plenty of heat to events and expos. As HECZ explains in the first episode of Creator Tours — in association with Turtle Wax — he couldn’t cop a ton of kicks when he was younger, but judging by the vast array of sneakers in his home, he’s certainly made up for it. He has a closet full of creps from Jordans to Yeezys, and the collection just keeps on growing. The OpTic Owner’s love for sneakers runs deep from hypebeast favorites like Air Jordan 4 KAWS and Boost 750s to guilty pleasure pairs like his “ugly, overpriced crocs,” also known as the Yeezy Foam RNNRs. HECZ’s most expensive pair: Air Jordan 1 Trophy Room – Chicago Nike’s Air Jordan 1 Trophy Room released in a limited-run at retail for $190, but only 12,000 pairs were made. This was a memorable purchase for the 41-year-old, but it came with a heavy cost. “Unfortunately, I wasn’t paying attention, I was a little dumb,” he said of his biggest sneaker regret. “I bought these for the same amount that the Friends & Family cost.” Read more: Twitch streamer HAchubby randomly takes over German music festival Though it’s not F&F, HECZ still managed to get pair #4,228 and these can cost you around $5,900. While there’s plenty of heat in his closet, this one has the biggest price tag attached to it . HECZ’s favorite shoe to wear (beaters): Undefeated x Adidas Ultraboost There are grails and then there’s plain comfortable sneakers you wear on the road. HECZ is one of the busiest people in esports, and the Undefeated x Adidas Ultraboost are his go-to beaters. “These Undefeated Ultraboosts- These will forever be my favorite shoe to wear,” he said. “I can wear these at any E3, at any Twitchcon, at any MLG event, all day long, and my feet will never hurt.” He has two pairs each of the white and black Undefeated UBs, which get plenty of use throughout the year. HECZ’s favorite shoe of all time: Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG The Jordan 1s have a special place in HECZ’s story growing up in Juarez. Before he even knew about the legacy of His Airness, young Hector loved his Jordache trainers, one of many athletic wear pieces influenced by the AJ1s. “When I lived in Juarez, Mexico, I used to wear Jordaches… This is before I even knew who Michael Jordan was,” he explained. “I remember as a kid, not speaking English in Mexico, thinking the way you spelled ‘Jordan’ was ‘Jordache.’ I thought that Americans were English-speaking people and that’s the way they said ‘Jordache,’ they said ‘Jordan.’” Now, HECZ is one of the most accomplished figures in Call of Duty and esports at large, but he still rates the timeless silhouette as his favorite sneaker of all time. HECZ’s ugliest shoe: adidas Yeezy Foam RNNRs HECZ has two pairs of these, which he describes as “the ugliest shoe I’ve ever seen.” They’re the Yeezy Foam RNNRs and they couldn’t look worse to the OG boss– but boy does he love them. “I’m not going to follow the ‘hypebeast’ route, where I’m not gonna get something because they’re super valuable,” he explained. “To give you an example: these ugly, pieces of s**t.” If you don’t care about ugly shoes and don’t mind spending about $775 for a pair, then he highly recommends the Foam RNNRs. Going through HECZ’s $100,000 sneaker collection revealed plenty of rare entries like the MF DOOM Dunks and classic picks like Jordan 3 Breds. A few months later, CodeMiko and JustAMinx went on record claiming a TikToker tried to break into their house, throwing rocks at Minx in the process. They were allegedly holding a party when the TikTokers’s attempted to enter the property, where they were met with resistance from the residents. Envy merged with OpTic in November 2021, just months before officially rebranding their organization to OpTic Gaming. That said, it’s unknown whether the creators will stay in their Hollywood Hills home, or relocate to Texas with their ‘new’ team. We’ll have to wait to see.

OpTic HECZ confronts fan trying to sneak backstage at HCS Arlington – Dexerto
OpTic HECZ confronts fan trying to sneak backstage at HCS Arlington Twitch: ScumpOpTic co-founder H3CZ went off on a fan who attempted to sneak backstage at HCS Arlington while he was streaming. With 16 teams in the run to grab up to $250,000, the HCS Arlington Major kicked off on June 30, hosted by the 2022 Halo 2022 World Champions, OpTic Gaming. OpTic co-founder and CEO H3CZ joined Scump and Methodz to watch the latest episode of ‘THE PROCESS’ — a documentary on the organization’s run during the recent Call of Duty 2023 Championship — before moving on to watching HCS. However, towards the start of the second map between FaZe Clan and Quadrant, the watch-along was briefly interrupted, when H3CZ noticed the event staff behind him urging a fan to move along as they attempted to get backstage where they were sitting. H3CZ goes off on fan trying to sneak back-stage at HCS As they began to walk away, H3CZ couldn’t help but confront the fan, first asking if they worked at the venue — to which they hesitantly replied with a no. “You don’t work here and you thought you could go back there?” he asked. Although it’s not clear what the fan said in response, it’s apparent that they intended to head back-stage without any valid reason judging by Hector’s comeback. “Come on man, you know better than that,” said the OpTic CEO. “If you don’t work here, you don’t get to just walk back there with no reason. It’s disappointing that you would do something like that.” He added: “I could say right now that you need to get out of the whole building. If they take a picture they’ll ban you forever.” The fan asked HECZ for an explanation as to why he should be kicked and banned from the venue. He responded: “Because you just tried to f**king go back there. Nobody gets to go back there, dude.” Seconds later, the stream cut to another camera, and when it cut back the fan was gone.

Hitch hilariously breaks down OpTic Gaming’s controversial buyout saga – Dexerto
Hitch hilariously breaks down OpTic Gaming’s controversial buyout saga Hitch YouTube / ImmortalsThe OpTic Gaming buyout has been a controversial and confusing saga for many esports fans, so popular Greenwall streamer Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards gave a hilariously straightforward breakdown for possible repercussions to come. The esports community was stunned when rumors and ramblings of a possible OpTic buyout by the Immortals Gaming Club (IGC) dominated the headlines, as it could have signaled the end of the Greenwall or at least a much different approach to it. But now there’s been a lot more clarity of the situation as it pertains to the OpTic brand, which didn’t help fans who were worried about the iconic esports brand changing in the near future. In a hysterical analysis of the possible fallout from the OpTic buyout, Hitch used intriguing props to paint the picture for fans who were murky on what the major transaction could mean for Greenwall fans. Read more: FaZe Clan’s Jarvis and Tilt win $20,000 Friday Fortnite – $10K winner, recap, highlights, final placements – “Even if the OpTic logo is owned by another company that has their own logo,” Hitch said. “they’re not just going to get rid of this OpTic logo.” Hitch then reached for some sunglasses representing the allure of Immortals’ logo and the OpTic one, saying of the Greenwall glasses: “…The only issue is, (OpTic’s) logo is only cool whenever certain people are rocking it.” (Timestamp at 0:42 for mobile viewers) He then awkwardly afixed the glasses representing the Greenwall on a bottle of Bacardi saying that when fans see the OpTic logo on people they aren’t familiar with “they’re going to get so much hate” for rocking it. According to Hitch, this would eventually lead to backlash for IGC from OpTic fans that aren’t appreciating the change. What’s next for Hitch and the rest of OpTic In his demonstration, Hitch said that an easy fix for the possible outcome would be to give the OpTic logo back to its original owners. Since that might not be in the cards, he said there’s already talk of the “Old Guard” making something new. “Even though (Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez) worked for a long time to make (OpTic) something special. Since we’re so in the dark and we have been for so long, maybe eventually, we with the old fans of the (OpTic logo), make our own (brand).” Hitch said there was already rumblings of the move within his circle: “Meanwhile I don’t know if I have a job… then Will comes up to me and he’s like ‘Yo, we’re starting our own thing.’” Whatever the future holds for OpTic and the people in them, it’s bound to keep old fans glued to the latest news to come.

OpTic Gaming Recruits Undefeated UFC Fighter – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming Recruits Undefeated UFC Fighter OpTic Gaming has picked up mixed martial artist Sean O’Malley as an addition to its ever growing team of gamers and content creators. Sean O’Malley is a mixed martial artist, with an undefeated professional record of 10-0, who currently fights in the Bantamweight division of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). O’Malley got his big break in 2017 when he was featured on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and picked up an impressive first round knockout victory. He has fought twice in the UFC since then, picking up a decision victory over Terrion Ware at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: A New World Champion and another decision victory over Andre Soukhamthath at UFC 222. But MMA isn’t O’Malley’s only passion. The 23 year old is also a keen gamer and regularly streams on Twitch.tv with Fortnite Battle Royale being his current game of choice. It’s this passion for video games that has earned him his latest big career move as OpTic Gaming announced on June 5th that the Montana native was joining its ever growing roster of professional players, content creators, and entertainers. Please help us welcome Sean “@SugaSeanMMA” O’Malley to OpTic Gaming pic.twitter.com/xkgmLQl6K1 — OpTic Gaming™ (@OpTicGaming) June 6, 2018 This isn’t the first time that OpTic Gaming has been associated with a UFC fighter. The organization used to have a sponsorship deal with MMA veteran Joe Lauzon, who fought wearing shorts with the OpTic logo on them. O’Malley won’t be able to do that, due to the UFC’s current uniform deal with Reebok, but he will be able to promote the organization in other ways as he grinds out his Fortnite matches on an almost daily basis. With the world of online entertainment and gaming becoming more mainstream by the day, it seems likely that deals similar to OpTic’s with O’Malley, or FaZe Clan’s with NFL player Juju Smith-Schuster, will also become more commonplace.

OpTic Gaming Announces a Texas-Based Content Creation Space – Full House Tour – Dexerto
OpTic Gaming Announces a Texas-Based Content Creation Space – Full House Tour OpTic Gaming has announced a Texas-based ‘creative space’ which will be a hub for a collection of future content from the organization. Following its founding in 2006 as a Call of Duty ‘sniper clan,’ OpTic Gaming has expanded over more than a decade to become one of the most well-recognized organizations throughout the entire gaming scene. The ‘Green Wall’ fields teams in esports titles such as Call of Duty, Gears of War, Fortnite: Battle Royale, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and many more high-profile games, however, the focus on content creation has always been a major aspect of OpTic since the beginning. While the organization had multiple different ‘team houses’ where members could live in a central space to create content with one another, the move to Dallas, Texas saw the team move away from the ‘house’ concept in favor of apartment-style living. However, in Vision – Season 5: Episode 2- “Old Vibes,” OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez introduced a brand-new creative space in Dallas that will be a ‘hub’ for content creation for everything from ‘Trivia’ to a ‘permanent podcast room.’ More: FaZe Banks is Expanding the Clout House to THREE Hollywood Mansions – Reveals the Crazy Rental Price Per Month – H3CZ would later mention how excited he is for such a space, and that it will hopefully bring back the ‘old vibes’ of team houses in the past. “Super excited to finally have a creative space that we have needed for as long as we did. Something that sort-of resembles a home – a SCUF house, a 6050 Russell Drive vibe…I just cannot tell you how excited I am that we finally have some space to literally yell as loud as we can and be fine with it. The full episode of ‘Vision’ can be viewed below, with the ‘content’ portion beginning at the 8:43 mark.

After the recent departures of Hitch and MBoZe from the popular esports organization, two more members have revealed their time as an OpTic Gaming member has come to an end. The pair have both been part of OpTic Gaming for many years, with Flamesword joining the organization in 2014 as a part of their professional Halo team and Create following not long after, as part of the content team. Following the acquisition of OpTic Gaming by Immortals Gaming Club on June 12 and the end of the 2019 CWL season, many players and members have been hinting at their departure from the fan-favorite organization with Create and Flamesword being the latest to cut ties. Flamesword was the first to reveal he was moving on, announcing on August 31 that he had concluded his time in OpTic Gaming, saying “Today will mark my last day with OpTic Gaming, nothing but appreciation for the lessons learned and memories created.” The former Halo pro went on to thank the GreenWall and revealed that he is excited to start pursuing his next chapter regardless of the outcome, “life is still continuing to move in a positive direction. It is expected that the OpTic Gaming Call of Duty team will be next in officially announcing their departure from the esports organization after Crimsix recently dropped a hint suggesting it. However, Create has been recently putting his efforts into the new clothing brand he founded alongside MBoZe and others believe that is likely to be one of his main pursuits going forward.

Oprah’s $100 Christmas gift idea sparks debate after TikToker claims it’s “too expensive” – Dexerto
Oprah’s $100 Christmas gift idea sparks debate after TikToker claims it’s “too expensive” YouTube: The Oprah Winfrey ShowOprah Winfrey has sparked a debate on TikTok after a creator came up to the famous talk show host to get a Christmas gift idea for his mom — but her suggestion was a little out of his price range. It’s the holiday season, and many Americans are shopping for presents as December 25 approaches. Although the holidays look different for everyone, it can be an expensive time of year as presents and wish lists add up. Putting gifts beneath the tree can be a pricey affair, after all, but finding the perfect gift can also prove to be a stressful ordeal. TikToker ’10gsocial’ needed help finding a sentimental and inexpensive gift for his mother, so he did what any reasonable human being would do — ask the one and only Oprah Winfrey for help. Oprah gets backlash after giving TikToker $100 Christmas gift idea The TikToker approached Oprah while the host was out in public, asking her for a “favorite gift” for his mother, as she wasn’t doing well. Going off her personal list of Favorite Things from 2022, Oprah picked a jewelry box that she claimed was just over $100. Unfortunately, that was too expensive for the TikToker — but Oprah seemed surprised by his budget. “No it’s not,” Oprah said after the influencer made her aware of his price range. “It’s really, really not. It’s like a hundred and something dollars.” “A little lower on my price budget,” the TikToker explained. “Lower than a hundred dollars?” the shocked host asked. Luckily, she gave him another highly sentimental gift idea instead, suggesting that he make her a card detailing the top ten reasons he loves his mother. Oprah’s reaction to the ordeal left many commenters upset, with more than a few viewers criticizing the personality for thinking $100 was a ‘cheap’ price for a present. “She was SHOOK that $100 was too expensive,” one user wrote. “‘Do they even make things that cost less than $100?’” “The judgment when he said $100 was too expensive,” another said. However, others felt that Oprah handled the situation quite well, while others even argued that $100 is a fair price for a Christmas gift for mom. “I think Oprah handled this and answered this very well,” one user said. “Bless her heart,” another wrote. “She was trying to help. I love both her suggestions. There was no judgment in her tone or reaction. Love her sentimental gift idea.” This is just the latest holiday drama to take over TikTok after a parent caught backlash for the controversial way he punishes his kids as Christmastime approaches.

Oompa Loompa from viral Willy Wonka event reveals actors haven’t been paid – Dexerto
Oompa Loompa from viral Willy Wonka event reveals actors haven’t been paid Stuart Sinclair/FacebookGlasgow’s Willy Wonka Experience went viral thanks to its poor organization and questionable decorative choices. Now, the Oompa Loompa actress who went viral has revealed none of the actors have been paid for their time. Willy Wonka has charmed generations of fans, with multiple adaptations of the book being made for the big screen over the years. The latest adaptation, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka, was apparently the inspiration for the ill-fated Glasgow’s Willy Wonka experience event held over the last in weekend in February. The exhibit had parents calling police and demanding a refund from the organizers. As images from the disenchanting event began to go viral, one of them stood out to internet users. An Oompa Loompa actress standing behind a table covered with glassware, which many internetgoers were quick to point out wouldn’t seem out of place on Walter White’s table. The actress, Kristy Patterson, spoke with Vulture about the experience, revealing during the interview that none of the actors had been paid by the event organizers, House of Illuminati. “I don’t blame it for going viral,” Patterson said, speaking about the event and the image of her in her Oompa Loompa costume. “I just hope everyone gets their money back, because I’ve not been paid for this. None of the actors have. So, it’s like we’re kind of going through all this for nothing.” The actress also said she believes the script which she and fellow actors were given, was generated by AI. Patterson appears to be taking a lighthearted approach to her newfound viral fame, launching a Cameo, offering advice and pep talks as her Oompa Loompa alter ego. The viral Oompa Loompa was not the only actor involved to speak out about their experience working at the event, either. Still, it seems despite the mismanagement from the event organizers, Patterson and other actors involved did their best to entertain attendees. A now restricted post on House of Illuminati had said the company was committed to providing refunds to all those who purchased tickets, but that refunds could “take up to 10 working days”. A new post made on the company’s Facebook page on March 1 reaffirmed their commitment to reimbursing affected customers, however doesn’t make mention of any timeline for refunds. But, some attendees have already received refunds by flagging their ticket purchases directly with their banks.

Ookami Mio reveals why Hololive members are collaborating less often – Dexerto
Ookami Mio reveals why Hololive members are collaborating less often HololiveWith members of the community noticing a general decline in the number of collaborations between Hololive talents, Gamers member Ookami Mio provided insight into why this is. Throughout its five-year history, Hololive has become best known for its talents joining forces to collaborate with one another. One of the big perks of being in a VTuber agency is that there are plenty of opportunities to work with other members and organize collaborations. From big events to one-off streams these joint adventures and the chemistry between talents are amongst Hololive’s biggest selling points. Given this, it’s understandable that some fans are concerned that the amount of collaborations has declined as of late, and now Mio has explained why. Hololive collaborations have gotten harder to organize A curious fan asked Ookami Mio during a guerilla chat stream hosted on October 29 why the amount of collaborations in Hololive seems to be on the decline. As translated by clipper Vtuber Addict, Mio explained: “In recent times it has become harder to organize a collaboration or an event. First, you have to explain your plan to management and get their approval, and now all the Hololive members are super busy. So it’s difficult to find a time slot that will work for everyone.” Mio’s explanation is focused on Hololive JP as each branch is run under different leadership and management. Even so, similar limitations can be seen in other branches too with EN member Mori Calliope admitting on October 26 that her contract with label Universal Music can make creating original songs with other Hololive members “extremely difficult.” These conflicts in schedule and additional measures required to organize collaborations are a natural result of Hololive’s incredible growth. Once a niche idol company, Cover’s stars are now amongst the most successful VTubers on the planet and regularly work alongside the industry’s biggest names including Among Us, Aniplus, and Konami.

Ashly Schwan is one of the most popular OnlyFans content creators and believes surgeries have given her the “best knockers” on the platform. Sadly, with such success there often comes controversy and that’s what happened when the creator began to deal with a major stalking problem. Stalkers aren’t exactly new in the world of digital celebrities with many revealing their own disturbing encounters, but Schwan’s took things to a disturbing new level that forced the OF star to change houses. OnlyFans model reveals disturbing stalker incident With over 450,000 followers on Instagram and even more on OnlyFans, Schwan has built up a large fan base, but some have gone from simply enjoying her content to becoming obsessive. During an appearance on Barstool Sports’ OnlyStans podcast, Schwan explained how she was talking to a guy on the platform who she thought was “sweet.” (segment begins at 29:30 for mobile users) After not logging in for a couple of days, she said she checked her inbox and discovered that he had sent photos outside of her house with a knife. While the fan insisted it was just a “hiking” picture, the model wasn’t buying it. “Some people aren’t fully there… I had to move!” she exclaimed. “Thank God, I’ve had to move like twice since then.” The content creator says she is safe now, but the disturbing incident has left quite an impression on her, to say the least.

OnlyFans bans teacher fired for filming videos in classroom with husband – Dexerto
OnlyFans bans teacher fired for filming videos in classroom with husband Instagram/khloetheaccountantThe teacher who went viral after students caught her filming OnlyFans clips in a school classroom with her husband has been banned from the platform. Arizona science teacher Samantha Peer, otherwise known by her OnlyFans persona ‘Khloe Karter’ was infamously fired from her job at Thunderbolt Middle School earlier this month. Karter’s side career on OF was kept secret from the school with the former teacher even banning the entire state of Arizona from seeing her content, but that didn’t stop students from discovering it and what she was doing on their desks. After being found out and dismissed, the teacher apologized, explaining that she only did it to support herself and her children. Sadly for her, despite her viral story potentially bringing in new subscribers, even OnlyFans doesn’t want her. OnlyFans bans teacher after students catch her filming in class In a social media post, Khloe Karter revealed that OnlyFans had taken action after she had been fired from her job at the school. “So it seems OnlyFans deactivated both accounts (refunded all customers/subscribers) and is blocking me from making new accounts,” she explained. It’s not clear why OnlyFans made the decision to ban the account, but the site’s Acceptable Use Policy does state that users shouldn’t “record in or broadcast from a public place where members of the public are reasonably likely to see the activities being performed.” Additionally, users are not to publish content that “promotes violence or any illegal activity,” though so far, it doesn’t seem like Karter has faced any police investigation. Regardless of the ban, however, the former teacher has apologized for her actions and has since moved on to create content for rival platforms. It’s not clear if the publicity has ended up helping the former science teacher amid the community backlash, but since being found out through TikTok, Peer has gone all in on the non-educational content.

OnlyFans bans preschool teacher for filming “naughty” content in school – Dexerto
OnlyFans bans preschool teacher for filming “naughty” content in school Wolf Swamp Road School/OnlyFansOnlyFans has banned a preschool teacher after she was fired for allegedly making content inside the school bathroom. Brenna Percy, otherwise known by her alias, ‘hairyboo’ was fired from her job at Wolf Swamp Road School in Massachusetts after her OnlyFans was exposed. In a photo posted to her OnlyFans, Percy exposed her chest in a school washroom and captioned the photo “naughty at work.” The disturbing image shocked school personnel with a stunned secretary claiming, “my jaw is on my desk.” After the news made international headlines thanks to an initial report by LibsOfTikTok, OnlyFans has banned Percy’s account for creating content in a public area. Preschool teacher banned on OnlyFans As of January 29, Brenna Percy’s OnlyFans account, ‘hairyboo’ is no longer available and displays a message that users see when a profile has been banned. “After a review of the account in question – it was terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy,” OnlyFans said in a statement to Dexerto. This isn’t the first time that OnlyFans has taken action against a former teacher for filming content in a school. As Dexerto reported, Arizona Science teacher Samantha Peer, better known as her adult persona ‘Khloe Karter,’ was banned from OnlyFans after she and her husband filmed videos on students’ desks. OnlyFans’ Acceptable Use Policy states that users shouldn’t “record in or broadcast from a public place where members of the public are reasonably likely to see the activities being performed.” Content creators are also not allowed to publish content that, “promotes violence or any illegal activity.” So far, it’s not clear if Percy is under investigation by law enforcement, but it doesn’t appear that the former teacher is creating content on any other websites under the ‘hairyboo’ name. Karter, meanwhile, managed to pay off a large amount of debt by transitioning her content to rival websites – something that Percy may want to consider in the event other schools refuse to hire her.

OnlyFans bans model after she admitted to filming video with minor – Dexerto
OnlyFans bans model after she admitted to filming video with minor Instagram/michelle_comiOnlyFans model Michelle Comi has been banned from the platform after she admitted to filming a video with a fan who was actually underage. Italian model Michelle Comi had her OnlyFans account deleted after she took things a bit too far it seems in her pursuit of viral content. Back in April, it was reported that Comi picked out a fan to make a video with her and once she had finished filming, found out that he wasn’t 18 as she had believed, because he “skipped his birth year.” “I’m looking for a partner again now. The boy got smart, but I hope he at least enjoyed himself,” she said, leading to much backlash. OnlyFans model banned after filming video with underage fan Although she never released the video and instead moved on to creating content in a grocery store, it seems like OnlyFans wasn’t too happy with her and banned Comi from the platform. A few days after Dexerto published the story about her controversial content, Comi posted to Telegram complaining that she had been banned. “I was banned from OnlyFans,” she said. “Listen carefully! I have opened a new platform, if you want to support me.” At the moment, Comi’s website includes links to her Telegram, TikTok and Fansly – a site that OF stars often transition to if they are banned. In a statement to Dexero, OnlyFans said: “We don’t comment on individual accounts. However, our terms of service are clear and we do take action if people breach them.” The platform’s Terms of Service states that creators must not “use OnlyFans in any way which may exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm any individual under 18 years old, for example by exposing them to inappropriate Content.” It should be noted that the agent of consent in Italy is 14, so it’s doubtful that the model faces any legal issues. Comi is hardly the first OnlyFans model to be removed from the platform. Most infamously, a teacher was fired and had her account banned after she filmed content on students’ desks at school with her husband.

The picture and allegations against RiceGum were initially made several weeks ago in the video below by Fortnite YouTuber ‘NickEh30,’ However, the picture has, for some reason, resurfaced and gone viral on Reddit and social media, to the point that the comments section for the post has been locked for “getting out of hand.” Even eUnited professional Call of Duty player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks tweeted out the picture, along with a caption poking fun at RiceGum. According to Clayster, the two have had confrontations in the past that have led to him getting blocked on Twitter. lul, “hand cam” when his hand is in the maincam frame but still on the controller LOL. Can’t even play his own games pic.twitter.com/Oo8wyPBbmN — eU Clayster (@Clayster) May 28, 2018 In response to these allegations against him, RiceGum released a video on May 22nd which began with him pretending to admit to faking his Fortnite gameplay. “I fake my Fortnite gameplay… SIKE! You wish I did! I just had to click-bait to grab your attention!” Obviously the denial is not very convincing, especially when considering how damning the evidence against him is.

Only 16 countries have a bigger population than PewDiePie’s subscriber count – Dexerto
Only 16 countries have a bigger population than PewDiePie’s subscriber count Swedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg runs the most subscribed channel on the platform, and to put his numbers into perspective, there are now only 16 countries with a bigger population than his sub count. His home nation of Sweden for example, has a population of just over 10 million, less than an eighth of PewDiePie’s 83 million subscribers. Since late 2018, the Swede has been locked in a battle with Indian production company T-Series for his most subscribed crown, and the contest has been framed as PewDiePie and the world vs India. PewDiePie is still a long way off the population of India though, who come in second overall with 1.1 billion people – second only to China’s 1.4 billion inhabitants. In fact, there are only 16 countries in the entire world who boast a greater population than PewDiePie’s ‘bros’ (as he calls his subscribers). Countries with a greater population than PewDiePie’s subscriber count Source: UN PewDiePie has recently taken over Turkey (82,961,805), Iran (82,820,766) and Germany (82,438,639) to become the leader of 17th largest population on Earth, if his YouTube channel was a sovereign state. Living in the United Kingdom, PewDiePie’s own kingdom is now almost 20 million stronger than that of the nation he resides in, which has a population of 66,959,016. The Democratic Republic of Congo is now within reach as PewDiePie aims for his next major milestone, but whether he will be able to reach the 86 million mark before T-Series is another matter. You can keep up with the ongoing battle for the number one spot on YouTube with PewDiePie and T-Series live subscriber counts here.

Meet Onigiri, the VTuber defying physics to teach Twitch how to cook – Dexerto
Meet Onigiri, the VTuber defying physics to teach Twitch how to cook YouTube: OnigiriVTubers are known for playing games in front of their audience, or maybe singing karaoke. Onigiri bucks the trend, inviting everyone into her kitchen on Twitch to whip up culinary delights, break bread, and trade cooking tips. Onigiri, an oni chef VTuber on Twitch, isn’t your typical streamer. She doesn’t sit there playing games (at least seriously), drawing amazing art, or performing beautiful music. Where her love really lies is in cooking. The mashing of a kitchen with a model that can only occupy a 2D space might seem impossible, but Giri has managed to innovate to meld her passions together. She might only cook meals for two — herself and her Onibro who sits off camera and helps with the stream — but she invites thousands into her cozy virtual kitchen every time she goes live. However it wasn’t forged out of pure love to start with. To put it bluntly, her lack of skill in all areas VTubers typically thrive in forced her to create a unique broadcast and find her own niche. “I’m a little bit of a boomer, so going into the streamer sphere where it’s populated by zoomers, everyone knows how to play video games or has a special skill like drawing or singing,” she laughed. “When I went into VTubing I quickly realized I can’t do any of those. I’m a terrible singer, I can’t draw to save my life, and I play games but silly ones — I can’t play skill-based ones like Apex Legends. “I really had to find my own niche and what I was potentially good at, and personally I found it exciting when other streamers or VTubers did cooking streams. Whether it was [with a] handcam or they’re an IRL streamer from their kitchen, I always wanted to check it out. Then I was like ‘wait a minute, why can’t I just do that?’ “I didn’t want to provide handcam content. I thought I could do better, maybe something that was never seen before. I looked around and no one really cooks the way that I intend to present my cooking content. So I was like ‘okay I’m good at cooking, I like cooking, I’ll just do that!’” Onigiri started VTubing in August 2021 — first with just a simple PNG avatar, before quickly leveling it up and getting more immersive with her streams. Having been locked inside for more than a year she was enthralled by the VTubing community as a self-professed weeb. That, plus her passion and love for cooking, spurred her on to take the plunge. She didn’t want to set up a camera in her kitchen and broadcast herself to the world as the level of privacy and separation was paramount. “It released the pressure of trying to put a pretty face on in front of the camera,” she explained. “You can dress however you want but still let your personality shine through via an avatar. It was really fun to just connect with the three people that were watching me, but I didn’t feel the pressure to have my face look a certain way or my room. “It was just an anxiety thing, a boredom thing, but now VTubing has really filled that emptiness for me. I’ve been blessed with a really loving community — although they might come off kind of strong, but I love them a lot and I’ve been lucky to have them. I’ve been counting my lucky stars that I am where I am because of them.” Onigiri wields mixed reality perfectly to immerse viewers into her kitchen — not her proper one mind you, but a fully-functional set she designed — while keeping the VTuber feel. You can see her hands, always in black gloves, moving along rhythmically when cutting vegetables or stirring a pot. What you can’t see is her real-life body. Using a chroma key and a morph suit, she is able to keep herself out of the picture. Her VTuber model stands in her place, moving around and following her hands to keep an authentic feel. “I pitched my idea to a family member and they were like ‘yeah I can help with that’,” she explained. “I told him ‘I want to do cooking, I don’t want it to be a handcam, I want it to be immersive. Is there some way you can have my model move and maybe capture my IRL hands and kitchen?’ “We realized a good way to make it work was using a chroma key to our advantage so I can block myself and my background out and only have my foreground show up and everything else would be my model. I’m very lucky that it did work out the way that it did.” It might seem janky to watch at first, and the first streams were far from polished. However, as time goes on it’s become more fine-tuned and seamless. She can often host guests just by dragging their models next to hers, much like inviting someone over to your house and having them linger by the stove. The stream is a home away from home, and something born out of her love for cooking from quite young. “I am Chinese, and for Chinese people, food is a very strong culture for us. Both my parents cook. We eat at home every single day. My parents believe in the typical ‘why buy this thing when we have it at home’. My mum made sure all the meals were home-cooked and we shared a dinner table, all that. “They never really pushed me to learn how to cook but they always ask me if I want to help out, maybe cut some green onions, wash some dishes, just watch — things like that. It was always around me, every single day, and I was gradually like ‘can I try this?’ and they were very encouraging. That’s where it all started.” As she got older, Onigiri began to appreciate the smaller things. It’s one thing to make food just to sustain ourselves, but she really wanted to push herself in the kitchen to truly improve. That involves sitting down and watching the Food Network (Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri, to name a couple of stars), flicking through YouTube (she really wants to collaborate with Uncle Roger one day), and reading food blogs. It can be a learning experience, but it can also be a reflective one. Just standing there toiling away at a task for a set amount of time, not thinking about anything else, is immensely satisfying. “Cooking is my own mental meditation time,” she said. “I can zone out for 30 minutes and it’s fun to go on YouTube and be like ‘this recipe looks cool I want to try that’. Sometimes it turns out great, sometimes not so much, but it still has a very rewarding feeling.” Watching her at times is like an extended cut of hit anime Food Wars — something Onigiri laughed off because she “doesn’t have a super competitive personality”. That being said, she has done collabs with other VTubers where they battle it out over the cooktop. “When there are the cool collabs where they want to challenge me to a cooking ‘battle’, it’s definitely kind of exhilarating to be like someone who wants to cook with me or against me,” she laughed. Most of the time though her stream is cozy. It’s just Onigiri hanging out and cooking with her chat right there, and maybe a guest or two. Sometimes it’s a “hand and brain” collab where her guests give her a shopping list of ingredients and they guide her on how to make the recipe. Other times, she’s just trying to cook something new “just for the experiment”. “Obviously it’s great if it turns out well, but for content they don’t care if you mess up. It’s like ‘oh shucks I messed up, now you guys know what not to do for next time’ and you brush it off. No one wants to see perfect execution every time — that’s kind of boring.” However, being a VTuber chef is not as simple as setting your camera down in your kitchen and recording a stream. There are all the usual processes like getting a model, stream assets, and more. For Onigiri though, she has to go the extra mile with her kitchen set-up which features plenty of standalone hot plates, two beloved cleavers, chopping boards galore, and a camera perfectly angled to keep everything else tucked away and hidden. It does bring its own set of challenges — but the number one problem for her is time. “There’s tons of things but the limitation I find sometimes is that the stream is usually 3-4 hours long,” she explained. “There’s a lot of things where it’s a slow cooking process or it requires marination over 2-3 days or whatever, so I can’t physically make it because of the stream constraint. “There’s also the fear of reflections and stuff. As a VTuber, reflections are the bane of our existence. When I’m prepping for a stream I have to be careful about certain things. Am I using a lid? Is the pot too shiny? Where’s the angle of my knife? And also will this take too long to make?” And in case you were wondering, VTuber models aren’t immune to random oven burns or misangled slices of a finger either. Sadly the morph suit and the pixels don’t give her any immunity from any kitchen mishaps. With all that being said, Giri’s kitchen is more than just her cooking for show. She wants viewers to ask her questions and be interested in the cooking process. It’s as much a learning experience as it is entertainment. No matter if someone is a total novice or if they are working in the industry, she hopes to share at least some insights into her life through food, help people find what they like, and teach them some great life skills. “Especially now with everyone being homebodies, people want to learn how to cook. I have had a lot of people come into my streams and say ‘I’m so glad I found your stream because I love your videos.’ “I have seen an increase in people being interested in cooking and people asking in chat for tips, whereas before it was ‘oh you’re cooking, that’s cool’ but that was it. I get a lot more inquisitive people who are interested in the process of cooking and baking or if I have any tips to share. “When people come into my stream and ask for any ideas about a really easy meal that a non-chef can make, or anything for a beginner to start with, I recommend boiling some eggs or making some instant noodles. You might laugh and it may seem like a troll answer, but you have to understand the basics of controlling a flame, how to boil water, know when things are done, judging heat. It takes practice.” With her first anniversary approaching, Giri is brimming with plenty of plans including another subathon (in her first one she made ramen from scratch: tonkotsu, tare, noodles, and all the trimmings) as well as wider goals for Twitch.. One of them is to hopefully keep going for the years to come. Another is obviously continuing to educate Twitch on all things cooking, and provide a kitchen for everyone to visit if they are feeling homesick and want that community feel. As a chef though? There are a few foods she wants to try and make: “Birria [for one] — the slow cooked mexican pork — but that takes 6-7 hours. I also really want to smoke something, but that requires being outside and ventilation and a few days. “But a smoked slow-cooked brisket or something? That’d be awesome.” Onigiri is a joy to watch, but how does her food actually hold up? Well I’m a pretty avid cook myself, and so I asked her for some advice before we parted. I had a friend’s housewarming the day after our interview and wanted to take something over for a potluck. Her suggestion? Green bean casserole. And take it from me, it was damn good.

Onision announces YouTube departure after demonetization – Dexerto
Onision announces YouTube departure after demonetization YouTube: OnisionSpeaksJames ‘Onision’ Jackson has announced he will be leaving YouTube after being demonetized by the platform following a documentary looking into allegations of sexual abuse. Onision first joined YouTube in 2006 and became well known for his comedic songs and sketches including the viral “Banana Song.” Since then, the 35-year-old has become almost notorious for allegations against him of manipulation, grooming, and sexual abuse. This includes a range of disturbing allegations emerging in autumn 2019. Along with a video also resurfacing of his alleged abusive behavior towards former fiancé Shiloh Hogansen — where he is filmed saying “No one will ever know how much I abuse you” — a series of young girls also came forward with allegations of grooming against him and his then-spouse Kai Anderson. Things escalated further when Chris Hansen announced in late October 2019 that he would be collaborating with the FBI on an investigation into Jackson’s behavior, with him interviewing his ex Shiloh as well as two of the young girls who accused him of grooming and manipulation: Billie Dawn Webb and Sarah. Webb later had her phone number posted online by Jackson in a presumable retaliation against her speaking out. This led to him being banned by Patreon in November 2019 for doxxing. Read More: How does MrBeast make money? – Onision was also banned from Twitch in January 2020 but was quietly unbanned by the platform in October 2020, sparking a wave of outrage. Many also criticized YouTube for keeping the creator online despite the number of controversies. However, it seems that YouTube has changed its tune. On Wednesday, January 20, Onision posted a video to his account “OnisionSpeaks” announcing that he was leaving YouTube after the platform had made the decision to demonetize his channel. In the video, he addresses and denies the allegations made against him. He said, “unfortunately after about 14 years on the platform, because of Shiloh following through with her promise to destroy my life, destroy my career, leave me with nothing, here I am with this email telling me that everything I’ve worked for has come to an end.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDSQ27idu3g In the video he shows a screenshot of the email that the platform sent to him explaining their reasons for demonetizing his content. YouTube cites “continued allegations of off-platform behavior related to child safety that could cause significant harm to the community.” This comes a day after Discovery+ aired the final episode of Onision: In Real Life, a documentary hosted by Chris Hansen that examines these allegations.

One year on from Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban: What have we learned? – Dexerto
One year on from Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban: What have we learned? Dr DisrespectA year ago, on June 26, 2020, the self-proclaimed ‘face of Twitch’ Dr Disrespect was inexplicably banned from the platform, permanently. A year later, are we any closer to knowing the reason, and what has changed in those 12 months? To answer the first question: We still don’t know why Dr Disrespect was banned. As far as anyone is aware, the only people who have any real knowledge of why the Doc was banned in June last year work at Twitch, and even then, only a select group of individuals at the company may know. No fellow streamers, friends, or journalists have said why Dr Disrespect was banned (other than a few questionable ‘we know but can’t say’ teases), and so it has been left to speculation. Even the Doc himself maintains that Twitch did not tell him the reason. At the time, Twitch issued this statement: “We take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.” Only months before his ban, the face of Twitch had signed a new contract with the Amazon-owned platform. That contract has presumably been torn up, and the Doc is now an established streamer on YouTube. The rise of YouTube Gaming In 2019, Microsoft’s Mixer platform, now defunct, lured away the two most-watched streamers on Twitch at the time, Ninja and shroud, with big-money offers. Their presence wasn’t enough to make Mixer a destination for streaming and compete with Twitch, and the pair got a big payday only to end up back on their previous platform. YouTube, meanwhile, also lured away some big names from Twitch with bumper contracts, including CouRage and Valkyrae, but, they landed the jackpot with Dr Disrespect after his ban. By banning the Doc, and not revealing the reason, Twitch essentially gifted one of their most famous names right into their rival’s hands. At the time, Dr Disrespect’s channel had 1.5 million YouTube subscribers, but in the year since, he’s moved that number up to 3.4 million. He immediately made a splash too, with all the drama surrounding the situation helping his first-ever ‘test stream’ on the platform hit over 300,000 live viewers. And his average viewership since has been strong, regularly attracting over 20,000 concurrent. Twitch’s loss? Whatever the reason for his ban, Twitch would not have taken the decision lightly. The Doc had been a household name on the platform for years, and undoubtedly an asset for them, even if there had been some controversies along the way. YouTube Gaming’s success over the past year likely would have happened without Dr Disrespect anyway, as many other creators have helped lead the charge (most notably Valkyrae). But, without the Doc, it feels like Twitch lost just a bit of its sheen as the number one destination for video game streaming. Dr Disrespect had raised the bar in many ways, with his always-in-character persona, unrivaled production value, and storylines that tied together every broadcast. When a new game dropped, people would go straight to Twitch to get the opinion of shroud, summit1g, and the Doc. Now, some head straight to YouTube instead. He’s only one streamer, and has never been the absolute ‘number one’ on either Twitch or YouTube – but Dr Disrespect gave Twitch an intangible edge, which it no longer possesses. Dr Disrespect’s gain? There’s no doubt that having the Doc on their site has been a boon for YouTube Gaming. But, has Dr Disrespect himself seen a net positive result from his Twitch ban? This is harder to argue with certainty. On one hand, his ban was such a massive story for weeks, months even, that he gained an extra layer of notoriety and mystique for his character. But, despite the huge strides YouTube has taken, no one is ready to argue that it has knocked Twitch off the top spot of streaming just yet. The talking points, trends, metas, drama, and general ‘noise’ in livestreaming still originate strongest on Twitch, with YouTube creators playing catchup. This is partly due to Twitch’s superior discoverability and shareability – something which YouTube is starting to tackle, with new features like clips. But, it still feels like Dr Disrespect isn’t on everyone’s radar like he was before, constantly at the forefront of the conversation. If he could wind back time, and eradicate all the ban drama – would Doc choose Twitch over YouTube still? Twitch has many community-led initiatives, that can be powerful in promoting their streamers, and getting creators involved in opportunities with game developers and other sponsors. For example, Dr Disrespect will have to miss out on the World Series of Warzone tournaments, with a $1.2m prize pool, because it is exclusive to Twitch. Twitch Rivals too, the platform’s own tournaments, are no longer an option for the Doc. Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban and move to YouTube neatly marks the first year of transition, as YouTube continues to make up ground in the livestreaming space. Year two might be when the competition really heats up, if both platforms stay on their current trajectory.

Onepeg reveals Artesian Builds financial troubles as employees tried to oust CEO – Dexerto
Onepeg reveals Artesian Builds financial troubles as employees tried to oust CEO YouTube: OnepegYouTuber ‘Onepeg’ has released another Artesian Builds video detailing that their financial assets have been frozen. And, he claims employees tried to remove Noah Katz as CEO but failed. After being called out for belittling a streamer in a PC giveaway, Artesian Builds has been roasted by multiple creators and accused of tax evasion in the state of California. On March 9, 2022, the company revealed that they have ceased operations and fired all of its employees. Since then, Onepeg has released more information regarding the company. In the upload, it’s stated that Artesian’s financial assets have been frozen, meaning they won’t issue refunds or build pending orders. On top of that, there are also messages from former employees showing they tried to remove Noah from his position before the collapse. Artesian Builds financial trouble During his March 9 upload, Onepeg says that he held conversations with multiple former employees of Artesian Builds who shared messages left by the CEO in the company’s Slack server. “The company has no money, they are broke,” he said. “They are no longer going to honor any returns or any other PC builds going forward. Everything that I can see here points towards Artesian Builds declaring bankruptcy in the near future.” The YouTuber went on to show a message from Noah Katz that revealed the company business finances have been frozen. Therefore, they will be unable to purchase parts to fulfill orders, issue refunds, or pay employees their last paycheck. Later on in the video, Onepeg noted that although Artesian Builds’ financial assets are frozen and they cannot fulfill orders. The website is still allowing users to spend thousands of dollars on something they may never receive. The company Etsy store for high-value crypto mining rigs is also still open for orders. However, according to the YouTuber, they changed the name to ABMining on March 4. It reads: “Given the devastating actions taken against our community, lack of leadership through this time of company crisis, and toxic reputation he’s fostered; we are calling on our Board of Directors to remove our CEO, Noah Katz. “The board needs to give the employees of Artesian Builds a fighting chance to save our jobs under new leadership.” The YouTuber says that the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer left the company in 2021 — meaning the Board of Directors may just consist of Noah Katz and his parents. Artesian Builds claims they’re still available for investment, however, so perhaps we’ll see something from Trainwrecks in the coming days.

One-Punch Man and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse come together in a hilarious crossover – Dexerto
One-Punch Man and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse come together in a hilarious crossover Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse became a new standard of animation excellence since it was released and subsequently won Best Animated Feature at the 2019 Academy Awards, making this One-Punch Man crossover all the more fitting. Crossover Animations Among many aspects, One-Punch Man fans have loved the fluid animations in the anime that really bring the explosive action to life. But a new fan creation reenvisions Saitama in a larger than life body. The latest web-slinging film featured a hulking Wilson ‘Kingpin’ Fisk with a disproportionate frame in relation to his head as well as limbs, so naturally artist ‘cminglap’ drew what the Caped Baldy would look like in the villain’s body. New Body, Same Saitama As fans know, Saitama gained extraordinary strength by sticking to a strict workout which resulted in a lean body and bald head. Cminglap’s creation, however, is more in tune with how the superhero would look after going more than a year of doing 100 daily push-ups, sit-ups, and squats with a 10 km daily run. The crossover brings the best of both characters’ design since the artist stuck with Kingpins broad shoulders, stump legs and small head fit into a suit with Saitama’s shiny head peering just under his back. The image is a bit jarring since Into the Spider-Verse gave Kingpin a towering, menacing body, which is definitely what the creators were going for. But most of that menace is drained away with Saitama’s head fixed in between the shoulders. KINGPIN 埼玉 #onepunchman #intothespiderverse pic.twitter.com/KyQDCjHqbm — Cminglap (@cminglap) March 31, 2019 Though both Saitama and Kingpin are bald and have few distinct features on their faces, cminglap did an excellent job in capturing the hero’s expression and design, even adding a shimmering head for full effect. Fans of the series will appreciate the single grocery bag the concept design features. One would assume that a hero with such an imposing body and rigorous workout schedule would need more than that for their daily intake but cminglap chose to display the concept with Saitama’s modest approach to stocking his kitchen. The concept design comes at a great time since One-Punch Man is gearing up for its second season which will premiere on April 2 in Japan and April 9 on Hulu.

One-armed veteran gets his first win on Apex Legends – using his foot to play – Dexerto
One-armed veteran gets his first win on Apex Legends – using his foot to play A US Marine Corps veteran, who streams his incredible gameplay on Twitch, has got his first win on new battle royale Apex Legends, and fans are loving it. Going by ‘ToeYouUp’ on Twitch, the streamer lost his arm in a motorcycle accident, but has “overcome the challenges of playing, by using his foot, in place of his hand.” His unorthodox playing technique is particularly impressive given his penchant for FPS games, which require more precise aiming than most genres, and has previously shown his talents in Battlefield. Now experienced with his unique controller form, ToeYouUp can compete online quite comfortably with other players, and even on a game like Apex Legends – which is notoriously tricky to be accurate in close range battles. But, his disadvantage appears to affect him little in-game, as ToeYouUp clutched up for the win, putting down the final opponent with some pinpoint shots. The moment was shared on social media, helping it go viral, and viewers could hardly believe the skill on show despite the Veteran’s disadvantage, which seems the hardly impact his gameplay at all. One user reacted: “Everytime I see these clips of people missing arms and still kick ass in games, I cannot begin to describe the respect I have for them.” Another said “And i can’t even win with 2 hands.” You can watch ToeYouUp stream live on his Twitch channel, and prepare to be seriously impressed by his skills – which put some two-armed players to shame. One Direction fans want to cancel Liam Payne & Logan Paul over divisive podcast comments – Dexerto
One Direction fans want to cancel Liam Payne & Logan Paul over divisive podcast comments YouTube: ImpaulsiveOne Direction fans are attempting to cancel former member Liam Payne, while Payne’s stans want to cancel YouTuber Logan Paul, following divisive comments made by the pop star on Logan’s ImPaulsive podcast. One Direction was one of the biggest boybands in history, and while they split in 2015, their fans have never given up celebrating them online. While many of these have evolved into stans of the individual artists, there’s still a core love for One Direction there — but they’re now at loggerheads between wanting to cancel Liam, Logan, or even both of them. Liam appeared on the ImPaulsive podcast on May 31 and spoke about his past with One Direction, beef with other members of the band, potentially boxing, and a number of other topics, many of which have caused some viral moments already. Before long, though, the stans had seen enough and came out in their droves to air their grievances with the podcast — both against Liam and against Logan. They even got ‘#LoganPaulIsOverParty’ trending on Twitter in their attempts to cancel the YouTuber. The main issue taken was with Liam’s comments about Zayn, joking about his ongoing issues with Gigi Hadid and saying that while he understands Zayn’s struggles, there are also a “number of reasons” why he doesn’t like him. One fan said that it is “so embarrassing” that Liam went on an “irrelevant YouTuber’s podcast” to “start drama.” no bc imagine being a part of one of the most success bands only to be starting drama on an irrelevant youtubers podcast… like that is SO embarrassing #LoganPaulIsOverParty #LiamPayne — z ur-rahman (@zzakiurahman) June 1, 2022 Others found joy in the “trend” of One Direction fans cutting Liam out of their merchandise https://twitter.com/MihiDramaavi/status/1532200339709239298?s=20&t=8-xR0qM5H68M5SiZeXF9MQ A number of fans came to Logan’s defense, though, saying that he shouldn’t be blamed for what Liam said about Zayn. Omer Fedi confirms relationship with Addison Rae in the sweetest way – Dexerto
Omer Fedi confirms relationship with Addison Rae in the sweetest way Instagram: addisonraee, omerfediGuitarist Omer Fedi finally confirmed his relationship with TikTok star Addison Rae just after the release of her Netflix film ‘He’s All That’ — and his way of breaking the news was seriously adorable. Addison Rae’s relationship status has officially been set to “taken” after Omer Fedi’s latest Instagram stories post. Rae, who rose to fame as a TikToker in 2019, is well on her way to becoming a mainstream celeb. In addition to boasting over 83 million TikTok followers, she’s launched her own makeup line, appeared on several late night talk shows, and has even kickstarted a career in the music biz. On top of this, Rae also snagged a starring role in Netflix’s ‘He’s All That,’ a modern-day remake of the 90’s classic romcom. While the film hasn’t exactly been met with the best reviews, it has reached #1 on Netflix’s Top 10 in the U.S. Omer Fedi shouts out Addison Rae in adorable Instagram post Coincidentally, Rae’s rumored boyfriend, producer and guitarist Omer Fedi, has also made a big achievement recently. Fedi helped produce the current #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, which also happens to be a major TikTok trend at the moment: The Kid Laroi and Justin Beiber’s ‘Stay.’ To celebrate his and his boo’s success, Fedi congratulated Rae in an adorable Instagram stories post that quickly went viral across social media. “Me and my baby are both number 1 atm,” he wrote. “I’m so, so, so proud of her. Wonder if we’re the first couple to ever do that with a movie and a song? Anyway, love you babe.” Omer Fedi & Addison Rae’s relationship timeline Although this is major news for Addison fans, her relationship with Fedi hasn’t exactly been a well-kept secret. The two teased their romance in a steamy video earlier this month, and have slowly but surely been appearing in public together more and more often. Things amped up after the two were spotted holding hands by paparazzi just a few days prior to Fedi’s latest post. Now, it’s officially confirmed that these two love birds aren’t shy of showing off. This marks a big change for Addison, as her relationship with fellow TikToker Bryce Hall was fairly low-key for quite some time. While they broke up earlier this year, it looks like the two are back on good terms, with Hall even congratulating Rae on her success on the silver screen. For now, it looks like Rae and her guitarist boyfriend couldn’t be happier — and we couldn’t be happier for them!

Olympian goes viral showing his “Play-Doh” legs caused by deadly infection – Dexerto
Olympian goes viral showing his “Play-Doh” legs caused by deadly infection TIKTOK: fullheartedpush / WIKIMEDIA: Ludovic PéronOlympian and former NFL player Lawrence Okoye went viral on TikTok, after showing his “Play-Doh” legs caused by a deadly skin infection. The British Olympian and former NFL defensive tackle left viewers horrified after sharing a video of the skin on his legs, which dimpled when pressed. “WARNING!! THIS IS NASTY,” the football player wrote on the 20-second clip, which has garnered over 8.5 million views. “Looks like a normal leg, right? Watch this,” Lawrence said, before using his thumb to press into his skin on his lower right leg. When he pushed his thumb into his leg, the skin visibly depressed and remained dimpled for several seconds. “It’s like I’m made out of Play-Doh,” the TikToker said. Most TikTok users in the comments were concerned for Lawrence. “Don’t put it off, see your doctor very soon,” one user urged. “Bro you need the doctor,” another said. “Hi see your doctor ASAP check your kidney and liver don’t even waste time, run,” a third wrote. Others, however, cracked some jokes about the circular impressions on his leg. “Bro turned into memory foam,” one quipped. “Bro can play connect the dots anywhere,” another joked. Some users rushed to diagnose the Olympian, speculating that the dimpling was caused by “fluid retention” or “pitting edema.” In a subsequent TikTok video, the 31-year-old revealed that he had a skin infection called cellulitis. The infection developed after he “smashed up” his leg a few weeks prior, he explained. “I have a skin condition called cellulitis, which is basically bacteria that gets into your system when you have an open wound,” he said. “Those crazy holes that were in my leg no longer exist, so I’m pretty much back to normal,” he added. Omegle has officially shut down after 14 years on the internet – Dexerto
Omegle has officially shut down after 14 years on the internet Getty Images/OmeglePopular video chat site Omegle is no more. After a protracted battle against attempted censorship, the site’s creator has shut it down. Omegle is something of a paradox in that it is both unifying and divisive. In theory, it’s a site designed to pair random users in video calls to help form friendships. In practice, it’s sifting through a bunch of adult men with their d**ks out hoping to find someone to chat to. When used appropriately it can bring joy with surprise meetings and positive interactions that boost self-esteem. On the other side of the coin, Omegle can be a tool for racism or unwanted exposure that’ll get you banned from Twitch. That particular side of the coin has led to a recent crusade against the site by multiple organizations who feel it’s unsafe for minors who access it. This came to an end on November 8 when Omegle founder Leif K-Brooks announced they had shut down the site in a heartfelt message. In the communication, Brooks detailed their thoughts on the “constant barrage of attacks” against the site and its ultimate end. They began by illustrating their own journey in life and the positive impact of Omegle. “Over the years, people have used Omegle to explore foreign cultures; to get advice about their lives from impartial third parties; and to help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation,” Brooks explained. In contrast to this, they also acknowledged the damaging misuse of Omegle. “Virtually every tool can be used for good or for evil, and that is especially true of communication tools, due to their innate flexibility,” Brooks posited. They were however firmly against the idea of completely eliminating something with the potential for good, solely because there is also a potential for harm. “Analogies are a limited tool, but a physical-world analogy might be shutting down Central Park because crime occurs there,” they explained. “Or perhaps more provocatively, destroying the universe because it contains evil.” Brooks claimed that “the stress and expense” of fighting to keep Omegle running had ultimately worn them down and highlighted a larger and more important conflict. “The battle for Omegle has been lost, but the war against the Internet rages on,” they said with warnings of a more sanitized experience “focused largely on passive consumption”. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who used Omegle for positive purposes, and to everyone who contributed to the site’s success in any way. I’m so sorry I couldn’t keep fighting for you,” Brooks finished.

Olivia Rodrigo’s 10 best songs ranked – Dexerto
Olivia Rodrigo’s 10 best songs ranked Flickr: Justin HiguchiBreakout Olivia Rodrigo took pop music by storm with her perfect blend of pop and punk. She can also rip into a ballad with great force — so what are her 10 best songs? While starring in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Olivia Rodrigo blasted onto the pop scene with her resonant “drivers license,” capturing the pummeling crash after a terrible heartbreak. The sweeping ballad served as the lead single to her debut LP, Sour, which is packed full of teary ballads and propulsive rompers. With her second album, 2023’s Guts, Rodrigo continued to flex tremendous growth both in musical playfulness and her vocal prowess. There’s always a fear among artists of the “sophomore slump,” but Guts is certainly the exception; it’s even stronger than her debut. Here, we’ve compiled Olivia Rodrigo’s 10 best songs and ranked them, from good to awesome. Did your favorites make our definitive list? 10. “brutal” When listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, Sour, you’ll notice a distinct Paramore thread. The pop-punkishness of one of the biggest bands informs much of the pop starlet’s uptempo songs. The slow grinding of tempo changes displays rapt attention to agile musicality. “I’m so sick of 17 / Where’s my f*cking teenage dream,” Rodrigo sings over heart-throbbing percussion. Her admission bottles up the general angst of Gen Z, one riddled with paranoia and fear for the world’s future. 9. “deja vu” Similar in tone to “drivers license,” “deja vu” sees a forlorn Ridrigo musing upon a former flame, who has now moved on to another girl. “When you gonna tell her that we did that too?” she asks, her lips laced with venom. Her lyrics are equally confessional as they are universal, burrowing into heartache and that immense feeling of betrayal anyone who’s had their heart shattered knows all too well. Musically, it might feel familiar, but vocally, Rodrigo knocks it out of the park. 8. “drivers license” A global smash right out of the gate, “drivers license” signaled an artist that was fully formed in plenty of ways. Over piano keys, Rodrigo pours out her heart and soul with everything she has. As the song crescendos, the singer’s voice climbs higher and higher, fluttering into her head voice when the song calls for it. Her ability to deliver such a potent melody, carving out each word with precision, is magnetizing. 7. “get him back!” “I want sweet revenge / I want him again,” sings Rodrigo, plotting her path to perfect revenge. Over syncopated drums and swirling static, the singer voices her loneliness and how desperately she wants “to make him jealous.” She sets her sights on getting back her ex so she can rip him to shreds. Even with the side-eyes from her disappointed friends, she goes ahead with her plan anyway. Sometimes, you just have to do things that are bad for you. 6. “all-american b*tch” Leave it to Olivia Rodrigo to have a song called “all-american b*tch.” Guitars quake in the arrangement and slowly build until it all crashes around her voice. The song oscillates between sweet coos to throaty screams, a showcase for the singer’s willingness to tinker with expectation. Even within the finale’s screeching, there’s an overwhelming intoxication that spills from her lungs. 5. “good 4 u” Another Paramore-inspired track, Olivia Rodrigo digs her teeth into the dirt and shoots flames from her tongue. “I’ve lost my mind / I’ve spent the night crying on the floor of my bedroom / But you’re so unaffected,” she spits over rattling guitars. Her defining kiss-off anthem, “good 4 u” writhes relentlessly against the eardrums. It’s no wonder it’s one of her most streamed tracks (over 2 billion); it’s that track that gets the blood pumping in all the right ways. 4. “happier” The waltz-like time signature douses the song with a coating of emotional shimmer. “I hope you’re happy but not like how you were with me / I’m selfish I know,” she sings, letting her tears fall upon startling piano. “happier” trembles with a classic pop vibration, as though Rodrigo is paying homage to such greats as Lesley Gore and Patti Page. 3. “vampire” When you think Olivia Rodrigo can’t possibly get better, vocally, she pulls the rug out from under you. With “Vampire,” the lead-in to Guts, the pop performer dazzles with a daily-laced track about how a lover is just like a vampire, sucking the energy from her veins. “Bloodsucker, fame f*cker / Bleeding me dry like a godd*mn vampire,” she sings. Musically, it’s among her finest, as each instrument builds to an explosive ending. 2. “logical” The quiet moments can destroy you as much (if not more so) as the loud ones. “logical” finds Rodrigo pulling in the reins for a performance that rips your heart from your chest. As she documents “the way it unraveled,” she finds herself arriving upon the song’s central promise: that “love is never logical.” As the way it ended crashed down around her, she was unable to extricate herself from the ruin. It’s within such destruction that she learned what it meant to live and to love, despite the inevitable ending. 1. “traitor” Through glassy ahhhs, Olivia Rodrigo unloads emotional baggage as she navigates the rising tide waters of betrayal. “You talked to her when we were together,” she weeps, before adding: “It took you two weeks to go off and date her / Guess you didn’t cheat, but you’re still a traitor.” Her lyric writing is like a dog’s incisors, mercilessly sharp and able to cut through flesh. It doesn’t get much better than “traitor.” For more entertainment news, keep it locked to Dexerto.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U sparks TikTok trend with viral tributes – Dexerto
Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U sparks TikTok trend with viral tributes TikTok: mads.yo/ Instagram: Olivia Rodrigo/ TikTok: annaxsitarAfter Drivers License broke records, Olivia Rodrigo is back with pop-rock anthem Good 4 U, and she’s blowing up TikTok once again as creators like Mads Lewis and Olivia Ponton pay tribute. 18-year-old Olivia Rodrigo is a singer and actress who first made her Disney channel debut with the show Bizaardvark, and then later went on to star in a leading role as part of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Rodrigo’s original song ‘Driver’s License’ went viral in January 2021, skyrocketing to the top of the US iTunes sales charts the very next day after its release and even being praised by the likes of Taylor Swift. The song’s heartbreaking lyrics and emotional vocals aren’t the only reason ‘Driver’s License’ has many fans believing the song hints at the breakup between Rodrigo and her Disney co-star Joshua Bassett, and even throws subtle shade toward actress Sabrina Carpenter, who some believed was getting close with Bassett in a romantic way. Following the song’s success, Olivia has now released a new track ahead of her debut album called Good 4 U which has already reached incredible popularity since coming out on May 14; so much so that TikTok’s biggest stars are posting their own impressive tributes. Several TikTokers have created their own mini music videos, such as Anna Sitar who posted a high-quality video of her version, writing lipstick on a mirror and angrily lipsyncing, complete with expert transitions and even a loop. Issey Maloney created a version where she emulated the emotions of the song with makeup running down her face clipped with a video of her dressed up, with the caption “POV: he got the girl you were worried about.” Olivia Ponton also made her own version using the Vintage DV filter which is also being widely used alongside Rodrigo’s hit with other creators such as Jordan Beckham and model Alexis Ren doing the same. Meanwhile, creator Adam Wright edited together a mashup of Good 4 U and Paramore’s iconic Misery Business which has also gone viral, prompting creators like Mads Lewis to post their own versions of a music video. With Good 4 U rapidly becoming another TikTok hit, it seems as though Olivia’s presence on the app certainly has staying power and her fans cannot wait for her album to finally come out.

Olivia Rodrigo under fire for allegedly ripping off Miley Cyrus “Start All Over” song Instagram: Olivia Rodrigo/Miley CyrusOlivia Rodrigo is under fire across social media as people are claiming that she ripped off Miley Cyrus’ song “Start All Over.” Olivia Rodrigo’s latest album, GUTS, released on September 8, 2023, to near critical acclaim as fans flocked to their favorite streaming platform to check it out. Shortly after it released, however, fans noticed a similarity between Rodrigo’s “All-American Bitch” and Miley Cyrus’ song “Start All Over.” Taking to social media to share their thoughts, fans are split when it comes to whether or not they hear the similarities. Did Olivia Rodrigo’s “All American Bitch” rip off Miley Cyrus? Following up from her 2021 hit SOUR, Olivia Rodrigo’s album features a variety of tones and feel throughout the 12 songs. The first song, All American Bitch has a bit more of a punk-rock vibe than some of her other songs — and some people think it’s a direct rip-off of Miley Cyrus’ “Start All Over.” One person posted a video showing a clip from both songs as well. They said: “I love Olivia and All American Bitch is that song, but does it sound familiar? Am I reaching?” Another user replied: “The chorus to all american bitch by olivia rodrigo sounds like start all over by miley cyrus.” “Really, Olivia Rodrigo? First you ripped off Taylor Swift and now you are ripping off Miley Cyrus, I’m done,” a third Twitter user commented. The backlash quickly made it to TeaTokTalk on Instagram, where others began sharing their thoughts on the similarities as well. Over there, many believe that they’re not so similar. “This is a stretch. They are just pop punk vibes. Certain fan bases just hate Olivia,” one user said on Instagram. A second commented: “As someone who’s been obsessed with Miley since 2006, this sounds like a stretch.” This isn’t the first time Olivia has been accused of copying artists in her music, as she paid millions of dollars in royalties to Taylor Swift and Paramore after the release of SOUR.

While she sprung to fame as a Disney star, 18-year-old Olivia Rodrigo has seen most of her success come in the music game. Her debut hit, Driver’s License, completely broke the internet when it was first released, topping the charts across the globe and being used in a whole host of viral trends. However, some fans have been left with a bad taste in their mouth after finally getting their hands on the merch for her new album. Many have taken to social media to voice their displeasure with the merch they’ve gotten, given how long of a wait they’ve had to endure to actually get it, and a few posts going pretty viral on TikTok. One post, in particular, picked up just shy of 900,000 views before deletion as the disappointed fan showed the stark differences in how the merch was advertised versus what they received. Some fans said the merch felt “cheapy” with part of the design being “hideous” upon closer inspection. Others, though, had Sour spelled wrong altogether. She’s not alone, of course. Other fans of the pop singer have aired similar complaints about the quality. She ended up winning the award in that category. Olivia Rodrigo has gone viral recently thanks to TikTok, where her songs Drivers License and Good 4 U have fueled massively viral trends used by creators all over the world. While some of her music received backlash due to fans claiming she ripped off sounds from Paramore, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine has defended Rodrigo. Olivia Rodrigo explains why she’s started avoiding social media – Dexerto
Olivia Rodrigo explains why she’s started avoiding social media Instagram: oliviarodrigoSinger Olivia Rodrigo has opened up about her opinions on social media, saying that releasing music in the age of social media can be really “daunting.” 19-year-old Olivia Rodrigo was previously best known for being an actress, in particular for her role in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, but after releasing her hit song ‘Drivers License’ in January 2021, she is now better known as a singer. She released her debut album ‘Sour’ in May, which featured viral hits such as ‘Good 4 U’ and ‘Brutal,’ which have garnered her even more attention online and a huge fan base to boot. Rodrigo has recently received a lot of backlash online for “copying” artists like Taylor Swift and Paramore with some of her latest songs, which ultimately led to her giving them writing credit on the relevant tracks. However, that negativity is not an easy thing to shake off, and in an interview she did with Rolling Stone along with Alanis Morissette, Olivia opened up about some of the pitfalls of social media, and why she tries not to read things about herself online. After Morissette revealed she stopped reading everything about her around the age of 22 because it “wasn’t really relevant to [her] personal growth,” Olivia related to her story. “I’ve had a very similar experience,” she said. “Putting out music in the age of social media can be really daunting, and I think people hold young women to an incredibly unrealistic standard. I’ve taken the same route as you have and just don’t look at it. “I don’t think anyone is meant to look at that stuff. I don’t think we as human beings are supposed to know what thousands of people think about what we wore or what we said or how we talk.” She went on to explain that she’s been on Instagram since the age of 12, meaning she lived her adolescence out in front of people. “I think it’s hard to differentiate who you are as a person versus who you are as a person on Instagram,” she said. Olivia has previously expressed her ‘disappointment’ in people trying to discredit her work regarding the copying accusations, saying that she feels as though “all music is inspired by each other.”

Olivia Rodrigo shuts down “stupid” rumors about Driver’s License and Sabrina Carpenter – Dexerto
Olivia Rodrigo shuts down “stupid” rumors about Driver’s License and Sabrina Carpenter YouTube: GQ, Teen VogueOlivia Rodrigo is hitting back at rumors that her hit song ‘Driver’s License’ is secretly a diss track about a beef between herself and Sabrina Carpenter. Olivia Rodrigo is one of the biggest pop icons in music right now. Her best-known song, Driver’s License, went viral on TikTok earlier this year, and her subsequent ‘SOUR’ album was met with critical acclaim (although her merch wasn’t). However, Rodrigo wasn’t always a musical superstar; the ‘Good 4 u’ singer is also a Disney actress, having starred in ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ alongside co-star Joshua Bassett. It was heavily speculated that Bassett and Rodrigo were romantically involved, although neither party spilled the beans. When Driver’s License released, though, Bassett was seen with fellow Disney actress Sabrina Carpenter, prompting fans to spread rumors that a lyric in Rodrigo’s breakup anthem was hitting out at Carpenter. Carpenter later released a song called ‘Skins’ which seemed to include a lyric clapping back at Rodrigo’s track — although she later denied that this was the case. Months later, Rodrigo has officially addressed the situation, stating in an interview with Variety that she’s tired of the constant speculation surrounding Driver’s License and her fake beef with Carpenter. “I put it out not knowing that it would get that reaction, so it was really strange when it did,” she said of the song. “I just remember everyone being so weird and speculative about stuff they had no idea about.” “I don’t really subscribe to hating other women because of boys,” she continued. “I think that’s so stupid, and I really resent that narrative that was being tossed around.” Well folks, there you have it; Rodrigo is not here for the rumors about herself and Sabrina Carpenter beefing over Joshua Bassett — something Bassett himself has previously denied.

Olivia Rodrigo slammed by Taylor Swift fans over Kim Kardashian PR package – Dexerto
Olivia Rodrigo slammed by Taylor Swift fans over Kim Kardashian PR package Instagram: Taylor Swift / Olivia Rodrigo / Kim Kardashian‘Driver’s License’ singer Olivia Rodrigo is facing backlash from upset Taylor Swift fans after gifting Kim Kardashian a PR package to promote the release of her first album, SOUR. Olivia Rodrigo has become one of the internet’s favorite artists as of late. The Disney star went viral on TikTok upon the release of her song ‘Driver’s License’ earlier this year, and her new album is getting similar treatment. In fact, SOUR has broken two records, with Rodrigo scoring two number-one singles on the Billboard Global 200 and even breaking the Billboard Hot 100. That’s nothing to sniff at! Despite all the pomp and circumstance surrounding her debut album, it doesn’t look like everyone’s happy with Rodrigo’s newfound success. Fans of Taylor Swift are bristling at the ‘Good 4 u’ singer for gifting a special PR package to Kim Kardashian to promote SOUR. Kim shared the cute package via Instagram, showing off a t-shirt, notebook and paint-splattered trunk, alongside a hand-written note from Rodrigo thanking Kim for supporting her music and sending love to her family. Read More: Top 20 most followed TikTok accounts – While some viewers might be scratching their heads over this sudden display of hostility toward Rodrigo, there’s a bit of history behind the Swiftie’s vitriol; back in 2009, rapper Kanye West (the now ex-husband of Kim K) infamously stole the mic from Taylor Swift during the MTV VMA’s, kickstarting one of the biggest celebrity feuds in the music biz. In 2016, West released his song ‘Famous,’ which notably included the line: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous,” referring to his stunt at the VMA’s. Swift later expressed some concern about the song when it was released, claiming that she had not approved the lyrics despite Kanye claiming that he’d gotten her permission on a phone call.
