  • All Apex Legends nerfs & buffs to weapons & Legends in March 3 update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends nerfs & buffs to weapons & Legends in March 3 update Respawn Entertainment / MicrosoftThe update that launched the System Override Collection Event in Apex Legends also implemented some balancing changes to several Legends, weapons, and items. System Override is the biggest event in Apex Legends since the launch of Season 4 in early February, and it’s introduced new content and changes to the battle royale. While not as major as the balancing adjustments made in the Season 4 patch, there were still some changes that could end up impacting the game’s meta. Weapon changes Several weapons were tweaked in this March 3 update, but the Peacekeeper was the only one that was seriously nerfed in its mag size, reload speeds, and blast patter scale: Mag size reduced from 6 -> 5. – Increased reload time from 2.5s -> 2.65s. – Increased reload time with empty mag from 3.5s -> 3.6s. – Slightly increased the scale of the blast pattern from 1.6 -> 1.7. – The Sentinel, the new sniper rifle that was released at the start of Season 4, was buffed so that it now does more damage and takes less time to rechamber: Base damage increased from 65 -> 70 – Reduced time it takes to rechamber from 1.85s -> 1.75s. – The Prowler and L-STAR, two of the strongest guns so far in the current season, now feature a red dot on their iron sights, which will “stay properly centered during weapon sway and bob movements.” Read More: How to master the L-STAR in Season 4 – The final weapon-related change was that a fix for the frustrating muzzle flash issue was finally implemented, applying to all guns except for sniper rifles and shotguns. Now, when you aim down sights of a weapon while firing, the flash of light that emanates from the muzzle will be of reduced intensity, making aiming a lot easier. Legend changes There were three Legends addressed with the March 3 balancing changes: Bloodhound, Gibraltar, and Crypto. For Bloodhound, Respawn explained that their intent was for the character to “use their tactical as they are approaching towns pre-combat versus reacting while in a fight.” Thus, the scan distance for the Eye of the Allfather ability was increased by 3x, while the time to activate and the duration of the scan were also increased to help balance things out: Increased the scan distance for Eye of the Allfather by 3x. – Increased time to activate: .4s -> .8s – Increased duration of scan: 2s -> 3s – Gibraltar was finally nerfed a little after the last several updates had made him considerably stronger. His Gun Shield health was reduced from 75 all the way down to 50. The third character tweaked was Crypto; players using the hacking expert now have their primary weapons reload automatically while in drone view. Backpack buffs This System Override patch made some major changes to player inventories, one of which was an increase of the base number of slots from eight to 10. In turn, this buffed Backpacks a bit, as each rarity now further expands inventories by two more slots than before: Common (gray) Backpack: expands inventory to 12 slots (previously 10) – Rare (blue) Backpack: expands inventory to 14 slots (previously 12) – Epic (purple) Backpack: expands inventory to 16 slots (previously 14) – However, in order to balance this, Respawn nerfed the stack sizes for Grenades, Light/Heavy/Energy ammo, Syringes, Shield Cells, Med Kits, and Shield Batteries. For more details about these changes and the new stack sizes for those items, make sure to check out our Apex Legends inventory changes info page. That’s everything on the nerfs and buffs that this March 3 update implemented. • All Apex Legends new lag symbols & what they mean – Dexerto

All Apex Legends new lag symbols & what they mean Respawn/EARespawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has a number of new ‘lag symbols’ – visual indicators of a connectivity issue that players can experience. Here, we’re running through all of them and what they mean. Lag in a video game is about the most frustrating thing a gamer can experience. Every gamer, unless they play exclusively single-player games, will have experienced lag ruining their session. Apex Legends is no different. Respawn’s BR has experienced considerable server issues in the past but, even when they are all operating as normal, no one is immune to lag and connectivity problems. Thankfully, the game has a new series of lag symbols to inform players exactly what the issue is. Once you know that, a fix should be easier to come by. Here, we’re running through all six symbols (thanks to @mrsteyk1) and what they mean, so players can diagnose and solve any connection issues. Every Apex Legends lag symbol and its meaning UCMD Delay (Input Lag) First up, a circular symbol with a zig-zag line through it represents UCMD Delay. This means there is input lag between the player entering their command and it occurring in-game. There are a number of causes for Input Lag, but simple fixes like using a wired controller connection or a gaming monitor can help considerably. Lag Compensation Error Next up, a circle with a ‘rewind’ symbol in it next to two rectangular files represents a Lag Compensation error. This refers to the server using a player’s latency to rewind time when processing a user command, therefore replicating the scenario that was occurring when the player entered their command. An error with this rewind can manifest in a number of ways, but mostly in the player’s game glitching and jumping. Data Error The above symbol featuring a large microphone represents a Data Error. It means that your game is struggling to process related data and your game’s connection is suffering as a result. Unfortunately, neither a cause nor a fix are clear. If you’re persistently struggling with this, we’d recommend reaching out to Respawn. Starvation The above symbol of a blank clock next to a microphone means Starvation. In computing, this refers to a scenario in which a process cannot be completed because the necessary resources are not present. This may well refer to players’ internet connection not being strong enough to carry out the commands and the online gameplay but again, a concrete cause is unknown. Issue Marker The penultimate new symbol shows a location pin drop symbol next to a microphone. It signifies an Issue Marker. Unfortunately, this is another that doesn’t appear to have a known cause or fix. Limits The sixth and final symbol, with ascending bars next to a speaker means Limits. This is thought to be referring to a player’s internet hitting its capacity and struggling to carry out the in-game action required. That’s all the new Apex Legends lag symbols explained. Unfortunately, causes and fixes for a number are not yet clear, but we’ll do our best to fill in the blanks moving forwards. Your best bet, for now, is probably to consult EA Help and go from there.

  • All Apex Legends Season 11 Escape hints revealed so far – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 11 Escape hints revealed so far Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 11 Escape starts on November 2 and a few hints about the game’s future have already arrived in the game. Apex Legends Season 10 is coming to a close soon and the first hints towards its successor are already in the game. While there were some interesting details uncovered this season, like the connection between Seer and the new Arenas map, it’s time to look toward the future and whatever secrets it holds. There are plenty of missing pieces to the Apex puzzle, like learning what actually happened to Bangalore’s brother or how exactly Ash from Titanfall fits into the game’s greater narrative. If you want to get a better idea of what to expect in the coming weeks, then follow along as we break down the earliest glances at the next era of the game. All Apex Legends Season 11 Escape teasers Teaser #1 The first teaser centers around Bangalore and her military past. It can be found on Olympus near the parachute pod that landed behind the Gardens during the last Collection event. Once you’re inside the pod, venture up to the laptop and interact with it. After a few clicks, her face will appear on the screen. The first line refutes the designation given to her by the IMC: “AWOL? Pfft. MIA, desk jockeys.” For the uninitiated, going AWOL means being ‘absent without leave’ and indicates a service member who has left their post without permission. An MIA designation on the other hand usually refers to a person being lost or stranded through actions outside of their control. This aligns with her previously established goal of wanting to reunite with the remainder of her family. The next portion of the message has to do with her brother, Jackson Williams, who is currently presumed dead after an IMC retrieval mission went wrong. First Season 11 teaser? 🧐 Bangalore now interacts with the laptop in the Olympus pod, with a reference to her brother, Jackson. (via @ddlcam)pic.twitter.com/UZHkQ2MqEB — Alpha Intel (@alphaINTEL) October 14, 2021 Both members of the Williams family were ambushed and the older brother appeared to give his life so his sister could escape. “Jackie, after everything… Why did you do it?” she asks. While it’s unknown if Jackson survived the aftermath of his last fight, the parachute pod had to come from somewhere. It’s not a stretch to imagine that it might be connected to Williams and maybe even the tropical-themed map that we’ve known about for a while now. Teaser #2 On October 21, Respawn released the trailer for the new season, and while it was a nice introduction for Ash, it only hinted at some of the new POIs and locations that players will be exploring on the new Tropic Island map in Season 11. This was followed up by two closer looks at the environment, which showcase the island in better detail but don’t answer all of the community’s questions just yet. 📁: HABITAT X >📂: VARIOUS >>📂: Day 2 pic.twitter.com/Fdl6rZH7Y0— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 22, 2021 📁: HABITAT X >📂: NESTS >>📂: Day 12 pic.twitter.com/b5XacRlBQz— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 23, 2021 There are bound to be more Apex Season 11 teasers soon and we’ll keep this page updated as Respawn adds more into the game. • All Apex Legends Season 12 weapon buffs and nerfs – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 12 weapon buffs and nerfs Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance patch update brought a change in the ground loot as well as buffs and nerfs to fan-favorite weapons like the Triple Take and Flatline, among others. Respawn Entertainment are once again shuffling the balance of power in Apex by bringing in the new Kinetic Feeder Hop-Up while bringing back a couple of others for sidearms and the 30-30 Repeater. For the Season 12 patch, there are going to be top-down changes to inventory for Fully Kitted guns as well as the weapons exclusively available through crafting that should impact people’s regular kits. Apex Legends Season 12 weapon buffs/nerfs Triple Take The Triple Take took over marksman rifles when it was reintroduced to the ground loot so Respawn are toning down its power a tad to make other options more enticing. This won’t result in a massive nerf but will shed some of the damage the Triple Take deals per bullet while removing projectile growth for every shot. VK-47 Flatline The Flatline is moving into the crafting modules and will be out of the ground loop for the time being. With that development, Respawn are giving it a slight nerf to its damage per bullet. Read more: Apex Legends Season 12 Battle Pass skins – This won’t break the weapon but will give players something to think about if they want to cash in their mats for the popular weapon. Apex Legends Season 12 Hop-Ups The Season 12 patch is mixing in a few Hop-Ups to the equation that should make players think twice about how they loot up. The Defiance update brought back the Shatter Caps and Hammerpoint Rounds while introducing the Kinetic Feeder. It looks like Respawn want to give players more flexibility for their second weapon with the Hammerpoint giving P2020, Mozambique, and RE-45 a huge boost against unshielded damage. The Kinetic Feeder will also be a huge boon for mobile Apex players who prefer the Triple Take or Peacekeeper. The unique slide reloads should be really helpful for extended fights and it could make way for new uses of them altogether. There’s plenty of changes to look over from the Apex Legends Season 12 update, so take a look below for the complete weapon buff, nerfs, and changes in the Defiance patch notes. Apex Legends Season 12 weapon buffs, nerfs Supply Drop Rotation The Alternator SMG returns to the ground loot this season and taking its place is the powerful mid-range energy Volt SMG. Alternator SMG Removed disruptor rounds hop-up – Volt SMG Damage increased from 15 to 17 – Max mag size increased from 28 to 30 – Hop Ups Kinetic Feeder – Triple Take & Peacekeeper Sliding with the Triple Take or Peacekeeper significantly speeds up choke time and automatically reloads rounds. • All Apex Legends hitbox sizes and how Revenant compares – Dexerto

All Apex Legends hitbox sizes and how Revenant compares Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment’s set of Apex Legends characters all have different hitboxes, with some easier to hit than others, so let’s take a look at the size of each legend’s in Season 4. Revenant was welcomed into the roster of playable characters at the beginning of the season, following some really impressive trailers featuring the character’s backstory, leaving players wondering what his strengths and weaknesses are. While an issue has already been discovered in-game regarding the legends’ ultimate ability, with the Death Totem having a larger hitbox than it should have and therefore being used as cover, let’s take a look at how the hitboxes of the fighters themselves actually stack up. Who has the biggest hitbox in Apex Legends? For those who haven’t taken much interest in hitboxes in the past, the size of each character’s hitbox will essentially tell determine how many pixels there are to fire at. If one has a huge box and more surface area, they are obviously easier to hit with bullets and other equipment. As for who has the biggest, let’s take a look at the sizes that we know of already. Apex Legends character hitbox sizes Bangalore – 44 square cm – Bloodhound – 37 square cm – Caustic – 68 square cm – Crypto – 44 square cm – Gibraltar – 79 square cm – Lifeline – 37 square cm – Octane – 38 square cm (approx) – Mirage – 44 square cm – Pathfinder – 63 square cm – Wattson – 37 square cm – Wraith – 33 square cm – Passive perks in Apex Those who main the likes of Gibraltar and Caustic might be looking at the statistics above thinking it’s unfair that their characters are easier to hit. However, Respawn introduced passive perks for some legends with smaller hitboxes – one of which is Low Profile. Low Profile applies to Lifeline, Pathfinder, Wattson, Wraith and Revenant, meaning that these legends actually take a 5% increase in incoming damage from enemies. There’s another perk that was introduced in an attempt to balance things out further, too, and that’s called Fortified. Fortified decreases incoming damage by 15%, meaning that those with larger hitboxes – Caustic and Gibraltar – aren’t significantly worse options in the grand scheme of things. Revenant’s hitbox in Apex Legends Much of the hitbox information for Apex Legends has been the same for quite some time, although there’s one character that isn’t fully battle-tested just yet – and that’s Revenant. Apex players might have run into some trouble with Revenant’s Death Totem already, which is a bug that looks set to be fixed up fast, but what do we know about the character’s hitbox? While we don’t have a confirmed size just yet, in square centimeters like other legends, what we can make are observations and comparisons. Given the fact that Revenant has Stalker Passive and Low Profile, it’s fair to say that he probably has one of the smaller hitboxes in the game – meaning he’s difficult to hit. The Low Profile trait, however, also means Revenant takes slightly more damage per hit. One Reddit user, iGnashtys, has already been experimenting with it, too, firing at the character in different areas of his body to see how difficult it is to hit. They actually describe the hitbox as “broken” in the caption of the video. The demo shows that the character’s very slim legs and fast crouching makes Revenant particularly difficult to strike to the lower body, but enemies facing a Revenant would get more joy by aiming for his upper body and head – which is usually the target when looking to inflict high damage anyway. Just like all of the other playable legends, there are pros and cons to selecting them. Some are easier to hit, others take more damage, but one thing is for certain – Revenant’s is one of the smallest hitboxes around.

  • All Apex Legends Jump Tower locations & flight ranges in Season 6 – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Jump Tower locations & flight ranges in Season 6 Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player mapped all of the Jump Tower locations across World’s Edge for people to get a handle on where they can be found on the map and how far they can take you in Season 6. Jump Towers are the saving grace for Apex Legends teams who like to loot across far distances or stretch fights across different areas. With a relatively short climb before being launched, the structures can provide instant rotation options to open up the map. Since one of the biggest blunders people usually find themselves committing in the Apex Arena is trailing too far off from the next ring’s boundaries or getting pinned down after being blind-sided by another team, positioning yourself close to Jump Towers while knowing how far they can take you can give players a major safety net in case something were to go wrong. User ‘freedcreativity’ compiled all of their locations in the Season 6 iteration of World’s Edge, while mapping their estimated range for how far they’ll take you. In all, there are 15 towers as well as three Geysers that Apex Legends players can use to get a lift off the map. While Geysers have a similar purpose, they only provide short-range travel for their immediate area. While the distances mapped out for how far they can take you are “wonky,” according to the Redditor, the player still managed to span the entire World’s Edge map by hitting most of them along the way. It should be noted that the estimated range is greatly influenced by not only the size of the structure but also the elevation on which it sits. So, the taller it is and the higher elevation it sits on both can lead to longer jumps. But in general, the map above gives a great sense of how to string along Jump Tower dives to quickly get from one side of the map to another if the need should arise. Something else that the map did is surprise a lot of players by revealing just how dangerous the dead-center of World’s Edge can be since there aren’t any towers or geysers to immediately fall back to. Knowing where you can find Jump Towers is a crucial lifeline (no pun intended) if a match starts to hit a boiling point, so keep in mind where they’re located the next time you jump into World’s Edge.

  • All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to Legends & weapons in June 23 update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to Legends & weapons in June 23 update Respawn EntertainmentThe new Apex Legends Lost Treasures event patch is set to change things for Respawn’s battle royale with a host of balancing changes for the game’s Legends and weapons, including a massive Lifeline update and more — here’s the full list of buffs, nerfs, and reworks. The Lost Treasures collection event, announced during the EA Play livestream, is bringing plenty of new content to Apex. Crypto is getting a point of interest, and new portable respawn beacons may just change the way the game is played. On top of all that excitement, Respawn has dropped some major changes in the Lost Treasures patch too. Lifeline is getting healing changes, the HAVOC is finally falling under the nerf hammer, and Wraith is having her kit stripped back too. All up, ten of the battle royale’s thirteen characters are set for changes this update, while two guns are being tweaked too. Zipline mobility is also coming under Respawn’s microscope in Lost Treasures too. Here’s everything you need to know about the next Apex Legends patch, which is expected to hit live servers early on Tuesday, June 23. Legend changes There’s a hefty whack of Legends getting changes in the June 23 patch, but none are set for quite as big a change as iconic Apex Legends healer Lifeline. The South African medic has become overshadowed by some of the other Legends in recent updates, including shield-dropping Gibraltar, and the smooth-talking Mirage. Both have been buffed, and have stepped into strong healing roles. Respawn is looking to change that in the Lost Treasures patch by upping the healing power Lifeline has at her disposal. Now, when using D.O.C. to heal downed allies, she can step away and begin healing someone else at the same time. Lifeline’s Care Package ultimate has also been buffed slightly as well. The supply ship will now drop “lots more items,” including more healing kits. In total, each care package should land with three small healing items, and two attachments. The Legends set to get buffed in the new update include Revenant (more tactical power, no range on ult), Octane (stim boosts, double-jump ult), Crypto (faster hacking), Wattson (more pylons), and Mirage (smarter clones). Wraith is also in line for some major changes to her portal abilities. Respawn is aiming to make her ability “more of a repositioning and scouting” option, rather than the “get of jail free card” it’s become. On the other side of the coin, Loba is being nerfed slightly. Her Black Market Boutique ult now only picks up one stack of ammo. Gibraltar (slower healing while in shield) and Caustic (traps can be burst before expanded) are also being nerfed. Lifeline Passive Combat Revive now replaces Combat Medic. – Deploy D.O.C to revive teammates. D.O.C. will deploy a shield and revive Lifeline’s teammate, leaving Lifeline free to defend or revive someone else. – This fully replaces Lifeline’s old passive, including Fast Heal. – Tactical Lifeline’s Tactical cooldown is now 45 seconds (was 60 seconds). – Ultimate Lifeline’s Care Package now contains more items. Care Package will contain 3x more small healing items, when it decides to spawn small healing items. – Care Package will contain 2x more attachments, when it decides to spawn attachments. – – Octane Tactical Upon activation, Stim will remove movement impairing effects. – Stim sprinting speed is increased by 10%. – Ultimate Players can now double jump in mid-air after using Octane’s Launch Pad – Players can change direction easily from the double jump. – Revenant Tactical Will now cancel: Pathfinder mid-grapple. – Wraith mid-Phase Walk attempt (before Phase Walk activates). – – Will now prevent: Mirage cloaked revive. – Mirage decoy control activation. – Lifeline combat revive. – – Ultimate Range removed on Death Totem. – Crypto Tactical Deploying Hack (Crypto’s Drone) now takes 1.5 seconds (from 2.5 seconds). – Ultimate EMP will now disable Wattson’s Pylons. – Loba Tactical Burglar’s Best Friend will no longer be intercepted by Watton’s Interception Pylon. – Ultimate Black Market Boutique (ultimate) will now only pick up 1 stack of ammo (rather than 1 stack + the amount that was required to fill whatever partial stack you had in your inventory). – Ultimate Accelerants now give 20% ult charge (up from 17.5%). – Mirage Tactical You can now hold the tactical button, and release to auto-control decoys. – Decoys will now say lines when shot. – Passive When cloaked, Mirage’s holo emitters will be visible to players that are less than 5 meters away. – Skydive Will now create decoys for the entire squad when skydiving when still diving with your squad. – Gibraltar Fast Heal granted inside the Dome Shield, slowed down: 25% faster -> 15% faster. – Caustic Enemies can cancel Caustic’s barrel by shooting it before it is fully inflated. – Wattson Wattson’s Pylons now last for 90 seconds – Wattson can now have up to 3 pylons out at a time – Wattson can stack 2 Ultimate accelerants per inventory slot – Wraith Phase Walk Phase Walk now takes 1.25 seconds to enable (was 0.4 seconds). During this time, Wraith will receive a 20% move slow – This does not affect Phase Walk while placing a Phase Portal – While in Phase Walk, Wraith now gets a 30% move speed boost – While in Phase Walk, Wraith can now see other players while in the Void. – Now lasts 4 seconds (from 3 seconds) – Cooldown is now down to 25 (from 35 seconds) – Phase Tunnel Decreased distance for portal placement by 25%. – Weapon changes Two weapons are being changed in the Lost Treasures event — the long-overpowered Havoc Rifle is being nerfed slightly, and the Sentinel is getting some buffs in an attempt to bring it back into the meta on Kings Canyon. The Havoc is having its horizontal recoil “greatly increased” to stop burst shots, and will have its magazine size decreased to 28. The Sentinel’s rechamber time will be swapped to 1.6 and its energize duration is up to 120 seconds. HAVOC Rifle Greatly increased horizontal recoil in the initial shots of a burst. – Decreased magazine size from 32 >> 28. – Sentinel Rechamber time 1.75 >> 1.6. – Energize duration 90 >> 120. – Ziplines A cooldown will be applied to re-grabbing Ziplines without touching the ground. – The cooldown will increase with each time a player disconnects and re-grabs the zipline. – With these changes, the ability cooldown will reset when the player touches the ground. – Make sure to check out the full Apex Legends Lost Treasures update patch notes for details about all other changes and additions. • All Apex Legends map changes from Season 2 update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends map changes from Season 2 update Respawn EntertainmentThe launch of Season 2 in Apex Legends has brought several changes to the Kings Canyon map, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up on everything there is to know. The highly anticipated second season of Apex Legends finally went live on July 2, introducing a flurry of new content and significant changes to the popular battle royale. One of the aspects of the game that was modified is the map, which now includes a couple of new named points-of-interest, as well as a more close-up look at the gigantic creatures known as Leviathans. Containment and The Cage The arrival of Season 2 has added several new installations. camps, and outposts on the map, with the two most prominent ones being Containment and The Cage. Containment is located in the northern reaches of the map, between Artillery and The Pit, finally giving a name to a part of Kings Canyon that was already a popular landing spot to begin with. Easily the most noticeable new point-of-interest, The Cage is a six-story installation just to the right of the very dead center of the map, occupying the empty space between Hydro Dam and the river. According to EA, this “behemoth” was created by an organization known as the Mercenary Syndicate in order to “draw competitors to supplies like moths like a grizzly flame.” Leviathans storm the map The first thing players will notice when loading into a match in Season 2 will be the fact that the large, mysterious creatures known as Leviathans have gone from residing outside the boundaries of the map to the very center. Two of the enormous creatures have traded the expanse of the surrounding waters for the central river, after apparently having stormed through the arena in rage. As a result of their stampede, several familiar locations of the map were destroyed, forcing players who landed at these spots to get used to the destruction. Flyers in Shattered Forest The once desolate and burned-down area known as the Shattered Forest has now become the nesting ground for Flyers. As a result of this change, the forest is now lush with foliage and new plant-life again, along with a new outpost that could give players more incentive to roam through the area. Apex Legends Season 2 – Battle Charge is now available across all platforms. As always, we will continue to bring you all of the coverage for this brand new season as more details g et announced and discovered by players.

  • All Apex Legends April 7 buffs and nerfs to weapons and Legends – Dexerto

All Apex Legends April 7 buffs and nerfs to weapons and Legends Respawn EntertainmentThe launch of Bloodhound’s Old Ways Event in Apex Legends also came with an update that implemented balancing changes to several of the game’s weapons and characters. The highly-anticipated Old Ways event kicked off in Apex Legends on April 7, and not only did it add a lot of new content into the battle royale but also some major changes as well. Respawn implemented balancing adjustments three different weapons and sniper ammo, as well as three Legends, including Revenant, who a majority of the play-base wanted to see buffed. Weapon changes The guns that were targeted by Respawn in this balancing update were the G7 Scout, L-STAR, and Kraber. The G7 Scout’s headshot and leg shot scales were bot reduced, along with its projectile speed, while the L-STAR was given both a buff and a nerf – better view-kick pattern and reduced time before it overheats, respectively. Read More: Apex Legends Old Ways event patch notes – The Kraber was the only one of the three that was totally buffed, as its headshot multiplier was increased so that players will now be able to knock down any enemy with a headshot, regardless of how high-tiered their armor and helmet is. The final weapon-related change was to sniper ammo, which saw reductions to both ammo per pickup and inventory stack size. G7 Scout Reduced headshot scale from 2.0 -> 1.75. – Reduced leg shot scale from 0.9 -> 0.75. – Slightly reduced projectile speed. – – L-STAR LSTAR will reset its viewkick pattern much more quickly to avoid horizontal recoil feeling like it goes in an unpredictable direction while feathering the trigger. – Reduced time before overheat 2.4 -> 2.2 (25 shots -> 23 shots) – – Kraber Increased headshot damage multiplier from 2.05 -> 3.0. Now it should always down a target with a headshot, even if they are a fortified character with a level 3 helmet and a full evo shield. – – Sniper Ammo Reduced ammo per pickup from 10 -> 8 – Reduced inventory stack size from 20 -> 16 – – Legend changes The three Legends that Respawn focused on with this patch were Revenant, Lifeline, and Wraith. Since its addition at the start of Season 4, Revenant has generally been considered to be a lower-tier character, with many calling for his abilities to get boosted. “Player feedback that Revenant wasn’t feeling viable enough has been loud and clear and game data showed the same,” the developers said in the patch notes. “Our goal is to bring his effectiveness up to parity with other Legends.” His Silence ability received four buffs in total, while the Death Totem Ultimate ability now respawns players back with 50 health instead of one. Silence Increased duration of status effect from 10s -> 20s – Silence now disables Gibraltar’s Gun Shield. – Increased the duration of area of effect from 5s -> 10s – Silence has 2 charges now – – Death Totem Characters are now respawned with 50 health (or whatever health they had when they activated it, if lower) instead of 1 – – Removed Low Profile – Lifeline was also buffed, as she now features a secondary passive ability that allows her to access secret compartments that contain more loot in brand new Blue Bins, which randomly replace their red counterparts on the map. Blue Bins are similar to the regular ones except they have extra items that only the Combat Medic can access, and they will always contain a mix of health items, attachments, and knockdown shields. Read More: First look at Loba leaked in Apex Legends – Wraith was the only Legend to be given a nerf with this patch. Her portal now goes away after four seconds if both ends are outside of the Circle, putting an end to an exploit that players were abusing to avoid taking damage. Other buffs and nerfs There were to other balancing changes of note implemented – a buff to Evo Armor and nerf to Low Profile. Added recently in Apex Legends, Evo Armor is a special type of body shield that gets upgraded as the player wearing it inflicts damage upon enemies. As a way to help speed that process up, Respawn have lowered the damage requirements for all three upgrades. The other adjustment was to Low Profile, a new Passive ability given to several Legends that makes them more difficult to hit but increases the damage they take by 5%. Now limb shots on characters with Low Profile will deal the same damage as body shots, with this applying to Lifeline, Pathfinder, Wattson, and Wraith. That’s pretty much everything in terms of balancing changes to Legends and weapons. For more information about the update as whole, make sure to check out our April 7 Old Ways event patch notes.

  • All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons & Legends in Fight Night event update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons & Legends in Fight Night event update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Fight Night event update went live on January 5, bringing with it plenty of new cosmetics, a Town Takeover for Pathfinder, a new heirloom, and other changes as well, including Legends buffs and nerfs. After months of speculation and leaks, Respawn Entertainment finally released the Fight Night Collection event, which is centered on Pathfinder, on Tuesday, January 5. The event is like previous collection events where you will be able to get new skins, cosmetics, a long-awaited heirloom for Gibraltar, and enjoy a new limited-mode, Airdrop Escalation. Though some of these changes are temporary, there are also be a few longer-lasting changes to two of the Legends, as Respawn has finally given Rampart a long-awaited boost. Rampart Kicking things off with Rampart, she’ll get an ever so slight buff in the Fight Night update, thanks to a change to the cooldown on her Amped Cover. Instead of waiting 30 seconds for the tactical ability to recharge, Rampart mains now only have to wait 20 seconds instead. Though, it will take around three seconds for you to actually place a piece of Amped Cover. There are no other true buffs for the defensive legend, but, Respawn has also addressed two bugs that have been hampering her – including one where players’ screens changed upon using the Sheila mini-gun. Horizon Horizon wasn’t included in the original draft of the patch notes that were released prior to the update’s launch, but the devs made a last-second switch that saw Season 7’s Legend receive a change as well. Her Gravity Lift’s effective cooldown has been increased, from 16 to 21 seconds, meaning it’s going to take five seconds more now to get the ability after using it. Caustic A light controversy surrounding Caustic saw the Toxic Trapper get removed from the patch notes after Respawn had initially planned to make a change to his Nox Gas Trap Cooldown. Originally, the cooldown was going to be reduced to 20 seconds, an adjustment that got some negative feedback from the community when it was elaborated upon by Senior Game Designer, Daniel Klein. However, when the update dropped on Jan. 5, the devs ended up canceling the tweak, instead opting to implement the above change to Horizon. Weapons: Hemlok, Mastiff, Prowler In terms of changes to weapons, the Hemlok, Mastiff, and Prowler have also been altered too – with the first two receiving nerfs and the Prowler receiving an ever so slight buff. The Prowler’s buff isn’t to its damage or range, but rather reserve bullets, as that’s been increased to 210 from 175. As for the Hemlok, its damage was nerfed from 22 to 20. The Mastiff’s pellet spread was altered for the third and fourth shots – bringing the range down from 10 degrees to 7.5. As mentioned before, there are also a set of bug changes too, aimed at rooting out problems with each legend. These changes were focused on Bangalore, Bloodhound, Crypto, Mirage, Loba, Horizon, Revenant, Rampart, and Revenant, and you can check out the full patch notes here.

  • All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends in Jan 14 update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends in Jan 14 update EAThe Apex Legends update that launched the Grand Soirée Arcade event on January 14 also implemented nerfs and buffs to several of the weapons and Legends in the game. With Season 3 of Apex Legends slowly winding down to a close, Respawn Entertainment looked to end it off with a bang after releasing the content-packed Grand Soirée Arcade in-game event. In addition to kicking off the 14-day celebration, the developers also made a few changes to certain Legends and guns – a mix of nerfs and buffs to help improve the game’s overall balance. Three Legends in total were affected; Gibraltar received a new Passive, Crypto’s Drone and EMP were both improved, and Wraith was hit with nerfs. Read More: Upcoming Twitch Prime Caustic skin leaked – You can find a full breakdown of all of the weapon and Legend changes below, taken from the official patch notes provided by Respawn Entertainment. Legends buffs and nerfs GIBRALTAR Via this update, Gibraltar received a new Passive to add to his collection of abilities. Now, the defense-oriented giant revives squadmates faster while the Dome Shield, which is his Tactical. Respawn did not reveal exactly how much the speed of healing was increased, but it’s considerably faster than normal. This isn’t the first time that Gibby has been improved in such a way; at the start of Season 3, he and teammates could heal faster when being inside the Dome Shield. CRYPTO Crypto was another Legend buffed with this update, which made improvements to both his Drone and EMP. The Surveillance Drone’s health was massively increased from one to 30, his EMP no longer affects friendly traps and deployables, and the EMP also no longer slows down friendlies. WRAITH Wraith was the lone character who received nerfs in this patch, affecting her Into the Void and Dimensional Rift abilities. The cooldown for how fast Into the Void can be used again has been increased by 10 seconds, from 25 to 35. Read More: Leaked images of unreleased Forge Legends – The update also removed the bonus move speed that Wraith received when using both abilities at the same time. Now, she will “move at their combined movement speed when they are both activated,” instead of receiving additional speed on top of that. Weapon changes There weren’t too many adjustments made to guns in this update, with all of the changes focusing on energy-based weapons and attachments. The patch removed Extended Energy Mags completely from the game while increasing the HAVOC’s mag size from 25-32 but keeping the Devotion’s at 44. The removal of Extended Energy Mags greatly confused players, to say the least, but Respawn quickly explained that the change had been pushed out earlier than scheduled and “it will make much more sense with the release of Season 4!” “We know that the removal of energy mags seems a bit odd, but it will make much more sense with the release of Season 4! It takes a while to make the bigger changes you see in the new season updates, and we generally make sure to filter out these changes from preceding mid-season updates. This time we made a mistake and shipped a change that wasn’t intended to go live until Season 4.”

  • All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends in Season 4 update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends in Season 4 update Respawn EntertainmentThe massive update that launched Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation also included balancing changes for many of the game’s weapons and two of its Legends. The highly-anticipated Season 4: Assimilation finally released in Apex Legends on February 4, and it came as part of a large update that made some major changes to the map, weapons, Legends, and other facets of the game. Respawn implemented tuning adjustments to a whopping 10 different weapons, as well as a significant update to iron sight accuracy for 14 guns in total. As for Legends, there were only two affected: Bloodhound and Crypto. A full breakdown of these changes can be found below, as well as the information provided in the official Season 4 patch notes. Weapon changes Respawn devs noted that their plan behind the massive weapon balancing changes aimed to “reduce the power of some weapons that seem too strong and give a little boost to some weapons that haven’t been performing as well as we’d like.” Iron Sights Accuracy First and foremost, the issue of some weapons’ iron sights being inaccurate was addressed with an important fix. Prior to this, the iron sights of some guns would not stay centered, and thus cause shots to be inaccurate, which is no longer the case in Season 4. The weapons that were affected by this are: Longbow DMR – TripleTake – Charge Rifle – Sentinel Sniper Rifle – Havoc – R-301 – Flatline – Spitfire LMG – R-99 – Alternator – Mozambique – Mastiff – RE-45 – Wingman – Weapon buffs and nerfs Aside from the iron sights, the update also made balancing changes to 10 different guns. We’ve provided a brief summary of each weapon’s changes below: G7 Scout: Move from sniper to assault rifle class; only accepts AR optics and attachments (still accepts Double Tap hop-up); fire rate reduced; time between shots for double tap increased. – L-STAR: No longer available in crates, added to the regular loot pool; reloading removed, it will now overheat instead; damage of each shot and rate of fire decreased; less horizontal viewkick when fired. – Devotion: Removed from regular loot pool, now available in crates only; magazine size set to 54 and total ammo stock to 162. – Havoc: Decreased time between shots when using Select Fire hop-up; no longer accepts Turbocharger hop-up because it’s been removed. – R-99: Reduced time per shot, increased magazine for first three tiers of extended mags (Base, Common, Rare and Epic). – Prowler: Increased damage per shot. – Hemlok: Increased single-shot fire rate. – Wingman: Base mag size increased; Rare and Epic mag size decreased. – EVA-8: Reduced delay between bursts when using Double Tap hop-up. – Mastiff: Fixed exploit that allowed for rapid firing. – Changes to weapon loot Respawn also made some adjustments to the type of weapon-related loot that was available on the map. First, they added a new type of ammunition called sniper ammo, which will be used by the Longbow DMR, TripleTake, Charge Rifle, and the brand new Sentinel sniper rifle. Read More: Respawn respond to SBMM controversy – This new ammo, which will have 10 shots per pickup, was added with the idea that players must now be more “careful about the shots they take and limit how long they can pressure targets at long range before having to reposition.” As for the rest of the changes, energy ammo now gives 30 rounds per pickup instead of 20, while the Turbocharger hop-up and extended mages for energy ammo were both removed. Legend changes Unlike the weapons tuning, which saw a slew of different guns get adjusted, there were not nearly as many Legends affected by the Season 4 update, aside from Bloodhound and Crypto. Bloodhound can now add five seconds to his Beast of the Hunt timer for each player downed (not killed). This makes it possible to exceed the initial starting time if a player is able to successively down several enemies. For Crypto, his EMP no longer destroys friendly Gibraltar Dome Shields, which also no longer stick to Crypto’s drone. Read More: Apex Legends Season 4 map changes – The section of the patch notes regarding weapon and Legend balancing can be found below. For more information about the new update as a whole, you can check out the full Apex Legends Season 4 patch notes here. WEAPONS Designer Notes: We want to shift up what weapons are the strongest. Also, we’re aiming to reduce the power of some weapons that seem too strong and give a little boost to some weapons that haven’t been performing as well as we’d like. UPDATE TO IRONSIGHTS ACCURACY – Apex guns move around subtly while ADS — they rotate and sway as you move your aim, they bob up and down and side to side while moving, etc. We have special tech that makes sure the reticle on the optics stays centered even as the gun moves around a bit. However, until season 4, the ironsights on weapons didn’t have this tech. That meant that the ironsights reticles could move around with the weapon and actually be slightly inaccurate — they wouldn’t point at the screen center where the next shot would fire. With season 4, we have updated most of the weapons’ ironsights to properly stay centered now. Not all ironsights are upgraded yet, but we will be updating the remaining weapons as this season progresses. The weapons that will be updated for Season 4 are: Longbow DMR – TripleTake – Charge Rifle – Sentinel Sniper Rifle – Havoc – R-301 – Flatline – Spitfire LMG – R-99 – Alternator – Mozambique – Mastiff – RE-45 – Wingman – G7 SCOUT Moved from “Sniper” to the “Assault Rifle” class. – Now only accepts AR optics and attachments [including barrel stabilizers and stock]. – Still accepts Double Tap hop-up. – Contributes to progress for stats/challenges for AR’s moving forward. – Reduced fire rate 4.5 -> 4.0 – Increasing time between shots for double tap 0.425 -> 0.475 – Fixed bug where G7 had 0 ADS air spread, making it the only gun that was perfectly accurate on ziplines, etc. – L-STAR The L-STAR is no longer a crate weapon and can now be found around the map. – Uses energy ammo. – Reloading has been removed and the L-STAR will overheat after sustained fire so best to fire in short bursts to manage overheating and recoil. – Damage reduced per shot 19 -> 18 – Rate of Fire decreased 12 -> 10 – Less horizontal viewkick when the weapon fires. – DEVOTION Designer Notes: The Devotion was chosen to go into the crate for a couple of reasons. Mainly 1) it is an energy ammo LMG, and so is the L-STAR and 2) data shows us that a fully kitted Devotion is actually one of the strongest weapons in the game, and could work at crate power level. Removed from normal loot pool and is now a crate weapon. Magazine size: 54 – Total ammo stock: 162 – Turbocharger functionality. – HAVOC Designer notes: With the removal of turbocharger, we wanted to buff the base havoc. Most notably, we are reducing horizontal recoil and making it easier to control. No longer accepts the Turbocharger hop-up [turbocharger has been removed from the game] but can still equip Select Fire. – Decreased time between shots when using Select Fire hop-up .77 -> .56 – R-99 Reduced damage per shot 12 -> 11 – Increased magazine size for the first 3 tiers: – Base: 18 -> 20 – Common: 20 -> 22 – Rare: 23 -> 24 – Epic: 27 -> 27 – PROWLER Increased damage per shot 14 -> 15 – HEMLOK Increased single-shot rate of fire 5.6 -> 6.4 – WINGMAN Adjusted magazine sizes: – Base: 4 -> 5 – Common: 6 -> 6 – Rare: 8 -> 7 – Epic: 10 -> 8 – EVA-8 Double Tap hop-up: reduced the delay between bursts: 0.85 -> 0.80 – MASTIFF Fixed an exploit that players discovered and reported where you could rapidly fire the Mastiff. – GOLD WEAPONS UPDATE The following will be the new set of Gold Weapons for Season 4: Havoc – P2020 – Sentinel – Prowler – R-301 – LEGENDS BLOODHOUND Downing (not killing) players adds 5 seconds to Beast of the Hunt timer. It is possible to exceed starting time with successive kills. – CRYPTO EMP no longer destroys friendly Gibraltar Dome Shields. – Dome Shields no longer can stick to Crypto’s Drone. –

  • All Apex Legends bugs being investigated after Fight Night update – Dexerto

All Apex Legends bugs being investigated after Fight Night update RespawnWith the Fight Night update now live, Respawn are back at work trying to iron out all the new bugs and glitches that have weaseled their way into Apex Legends. Most of them are chat and audio issues, but some are affecting gameplay. Fight Night has taken Apex Legends players by storm. The latest update introduced the Pathfinder town takeover with old fashioned fisty-cuffs duels, a new Airdrop Escalation Takeover LTM, and the usual event skins. However, there’s also been some pesky bugs working their way into the game. Obviously it’s hard to avoid squashing all of them in a live-service game. Respawn are working hard on doing just that, though. They’ve shared a list of their biggest problems after the Fight Night update, and some of them do have a drastic impact on the game. You may have even experienced it yourself. The biggest of them all is a bug with Gibraltar’s Defensive Bombardment ultimate. While it generally causes chaos, there’s even more right now, with the ultimate silencing basically all gunfire sounds. Read More: Who is Fuse in Apex Legends? – This is important to dodge receiving fire, so losing sound can be the difference between winning and losing. They’re still investigating the bug, with no ETA on a fix yet. Wattson players using the Haute Drop skin may have noticed a visual glitch while using the 1x Holo scope too. The player’s view model can become obscured, making it harder to see. This is also being worked on. Finally, players aren’t abiding by Pathfinder’s rules and bringing guns to a fist-fight in his Town Takeover. Respawn are looking at fixing that for their next update. The other issues are primarily to do with communication. From lobby audio issues on crossplay, to game freezes and buggy chats, they’re small things that can add up — especially when a game comes down to the wire. This list provided by Respawn is only a small insight into the bugs, glitches, and exploits they’re tackling. There are likely dozens, if not hundreds, more on their radar. However, you can expect most of these to be fixed by the next update. Apex Legends bug list post-7.2 update Gibraltar’s ult seems to cause lack of gunfire sounds – Players cannot hear each other in lobbies while connect via crossplay – Apex Legends is freezing and locking up for some users after 7.2 update – Increased instances of “internal server error” messages after 7.2 update – Players are sometimes able to bring weapons into the Fight Night Town Takeover – “Steam Only” Game crashes when clicking on friends list – Some Steam users unable to see text chat – Wattson “Haute Drop” skin has 1P view issues with 1x holo scope with certain weapons – Rampart Event Skin (Gold Standard) has discolored teeth –

  • Apex Legends Heirlooms list: How to get Heirloom Shards – Dexerto

Apex Legends Heirlooms list: How to get Heirloom Shards Respawn EntertainmentHeirlooms are an ultra-rare cosmetics in Apex Legends but you’ll need to have plenty of Heirloom Shards to unlock them. Heirlooms not only look extremely cool in Apex Legends but they also feature unique animations, banner poses, and unique intro quips for different Legends. You can also see the Heirloom in your character’s hand when their weapon is holstered too. Before you can kit a Legend out with Heirlooms, however, you’ll need some Heirloom Shards first so here’s how to get them in the battle royale. How to get Heirloom Shards You can purchase Heirlooms from the Heirloom Store in Apex Legends but first, you’ll need to open some Apex Packs to get Heirloom Shards. Packs can be obtained by leveling up, ranking up the battle pass, and purchasing them with the game’s premium currency (Apex Coins). The other method of getting Heirloom Shards is by finishing event collections. Completing an event without a mythic will grant you Heirloom Shards. According to the Apex Legends official FAQ, every Apex Pack has less than a 1% chance of dropping 150 Heirloom Shards. This is currently the only way you can obtain Heirloom Shards. Heirlooms cost 150 Heirloom Shards to craft, so you’ll need to either get incredibly lucky or open up a lot of loot boxes. Heirloom after 500 Apex Packs To make sure everyone can get a Heirloom without spending any money, Respawn has ensured that you cannot open 500 packs without getting any Heirloom Shards. According to the developers: “A player cannot open more than 500 Apex Packs (excludes Collection Event Packs) without receiving Heirloom Shards (assuming the player does not own all of the available Heirloom Sets and Prestige Skins). Once a player owns all of the Heirloom Sets and Prestige Skins, the player will not be eligible for this bonus until more Heirloom Sets or Prestige Skins are added to the game.” All Apex Legends Heirlooms Valkyrie’s Heirloom – Suzaku Banner Pose: Angel’s Arrival – Melee Weapon Skin: Suzaku Spear – Intro Quip: This little viper’s got her mum’s fangs – Crypto’s Heirloom – Biwon Blade Banner Pose: No Escape – Melee Weapon Skin: Green Biwon Blade – Intro Quip: “I’ll find you.” – Wattson’s Heirloom – Energy Reader Banner Pose: Handled With Care – Melee Weapon Skin: An Energy Reader with a mini-screen – Intro Quip: “Try as you might, you can’t Kilowatt…son.” – Rampart’s Heirloom – Problem Solver Banner Pose: Wrench In Your Plan – Melee Weapon Skin: A metal wrench with red detailing. – Intro Quip: “I make things by hand.” – Wraith’s Heirloom – Hope’s Dusk Banner Pose: Fearless – Melee Weapon Skin: A Kunai that is imbued with blue energy. – Intro Quip: “You know what I look like – come find me.” – Revenant’s Heirloom – Dead Man’s Curve Banner Pose: No Escape – Melee Weapon Skin: A scythe that emits a fiery glow – Intro Quip: “You don’t want to see this up close, skin bag.” – Bloodhound’s Heirloom – Raven’s Bite Banner Pose: Glory Hound – Melee Weapon Skin: An axe with raven detailing and a glowing red edge. – Intro Quip: “I honor those who’ve risen, not those who’ve fallen.” – Loba’s Heirloom – Garra de Alanza Banner Pose: Trazer de Volta – Melee Weapon Skin: Garra de Alanza – A collapsible fan with blades at the end. – Intro Quip: “I’m in a class of my own.” – Lifeline’s Heirloom – Shocksticks Banner Pose: Shock Sticks – Melee Weapon Skin: A pair of defibrillator drumsticks. – Intro Quip: “Check yo self – or wreck yo self. • All Apex Legends anime references from the Gaiden event skins – Dexerto

All Apex Legends anime references from the Gaiden event skins Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Gaiden event patch gave the battle royale’s cast a host of skins that paid tribute to popular anime like My Hero Academia, One Piece, Naruto, and more. In its latest content updated, Respawn Entertainment gave various Legends cosmetics with strange colorways. The seemingly random skins made a lot more sense after seeing the Apex Legends anime short that the studio released alongside the patch. That’s when people like Reddit user ‘NerdMaster18’ connected the dots to find fit all the skins to their appropriate anime references. Some make more sense than others, but it’s still a great passion project that quickly became a hit for fans. For people still trying to make out what the Apex Legends anime references are about, there’s a full breakdown below. While there were a few skins that were hard to place, seeing them side-by-side to their source material really pulls back the curtain of Respawn’s thinking. For example, the green-haired Mirage is meant to reference My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya, while Fuse takes after Fullmetal Alchemist protagonist Edward Elric. Apex Legends anime skins: Wattson – Naruto (Naruto) – Octane – Luffy (One Piece) – Mirage – Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia) – Revenant – Unit 09 (Neon Genesis Evangelion) – Fuse – Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist) – Bloodhound – Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul) – Crypto – Goku (Dragon Ball Z) – Seer – Tuxedo Mask (Sailor Moon) – Bangalore – Sailor Mars (Sailor Moon) – Respawn have included references to anime in game teasers before, but never actually incorporated them into the game. There was the cryptic inclusion of popular manga a year ago, which never amounted to much except to showcase the studio’s love of anime. The Gaiden event skins have been extremely popular among the Apex Legends community so far, so here’s hoping more anime cosmetics are one the way.

  • All abilities revealed for leaked Apex Legends character Jericho – Dexerto

All abilities revealed for leaked Apex Legends character Jericho A popular YouTube data miner has discovered game files in Apex Legends that uncover all abilities for leaked character Jericho. The second season of Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale is well underway, but so far we’ve only seen one new character added to the game. However, as data miners dig deeper into the Apex Legends game files, plenty of potential leaks continue to surface as the developers continue to pour their creative efforts into the title. So far, Crypto appears most likely to be the next addition to the growing list of Legends, as a comprehensive character profile has now emerged. Although, while the addition of Crypto appears to be a matter of not if but when, other potential Legends are also appearing. In a video released on August 25, The Gaming Merchant reveals leaked details on another potential character: Jericho. What are Jericho’s abilities? Described as “The Frontline”, the character scripts that are embedded within Apex Legends’ game files portray Jericho to be a bigger character, potentially rivaling Gibraltar. Jericho’s abilities are as follows: Passive: Ballistic Shield Protection – “Your Ballistic Shield protects your back when you are not actively using it.” – Ability one (potential Tactical): Ballistic Shield – “A full-body shield that protects your from incoming fire.” – Ability two (potential Ultimate): Shield-Breaker Javelins – “Throw two electrically charged javelins that burn through enemy body shields.” – Details surrounding the Ballistic Shield appear vague, with it’s deployment time and character implications (such as health regeneration and gun use) yet to be revealed — how this will weigh-up versus Gibraltar’s Tactical Ability remains to be seen. Shield-Breaker Javelins might skew the balance of the current in-game meta, as combining them with Hammerpoint Rounds will give the Legend the ability to strip both body shields and health simultaneously, which may prove overpowered indeed. This data is gathered from a version of the game that is still in development, and as such, all of these details are subject to change. However, similar game files have been leaked before regarding characters which have transpired to hold substance, and later confirmed by Respawn themselves. Therefore, the information provided here may indeed be legitimate, considering that the character leaks date back as far as February. As previously detailed characters seem to be further along in their development, Jericho may have to join the queue behind Crypto, Rosie and more. Should this character and their abilities make it to King’s Canyon, there is a potential for a large shift in the battle royale’s meta.

  • All abilities revealed for leaked character Nomad in Apex Legends – Dexerto

All abilities revealed for leaked character Nomad in Apex Legends A reputable data miner has discovered game files in Apex Legends that uncover all three abilities for leaked Legend Nomad. Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale has been subject to plenty of controversy of-late, yet, recent leaks suggest that developers are continuing their hard work to augment the success of Apex Legends by incorporating more playable characters to their expansive storyline. A video posted by That1MiningGuy on August 16, details the data scripts behind the character that is currently known as ‘Nomad’. What are Nomad’s abilities? Labelled as a ‘Field Crafter’, the in-game description hints at the potential to find loot and generate new items by trading them in for existing ones, and as such, Nomad gameplay will likely revolve around interacting with your surrounding environment in a new way. As per the character scripts that are embedded within Apex Legends’ game files, Nomad’s abilities are as follows: Passive: Packmule – “Nomad and his teammates have additional backpack space.” – Ability one: Loot Compass – “Follow the loot compass to the nearest item.” – Ability two: Crafting Table – Place a crafting table down. Scrap salvageable material and purchase items.” – Nomad’s passive appears self-explanatory enough, although the character’s abilities hold potentially game-altering mechanics, with neither ability yet to be distinguished as a tactical/ultimate. The use of a temporary loot-based radar system in the form of a hand-held compass would have massive implications during the early stages of a game, which would make it a logical fit for a tactical ability. Nonetheless, it is the second (and likely ultimate) ability that will give players a unique edge. The video explains that it will give players an option to craft new items with spare loot, and should this transpire to be the case, it will add a new dimension to the already fluid gameplay of the popular battle royale. What else do we know about Nomad? Albeit entirely theoretical, Reddit user FrozenFroh has previously made the link between Wraith skin ‘The Night Terror’ – originally appearing in the limited-time event ‘The Legendary Hunt’ – and Nomad. As spotted by the studious Reddit user, ‘Nomad tech’ appears in the concept art released, further provoking a response from a developer on the subreddit. Moreover, this character is in the early stages of development and is unlikely to be released anytime soon. Of course, all of these data files are subject to change and all leaks that appear are speculative. However, should they hold substance, Nomad’s character will interact with King’s Canyon in a way that could shift the meta of Apex Legends; creating a more dynamic perspective on the surrounding environment for players and spectators alike.

ALGS was previously in hot water during the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs in February as some fans and players believed the broadcast was focusing too much on TSM, and neglecting to bring other teams to the main stage. For ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, which will be hosted in the same format in the same location (the Copper Box Arena in London), every team will be featured on the mainstage broadcast. The Apex Legends Esports Twitter account announced the dates and ticket sales for the event on May 11 and also dropped that each of the 40 teams that qualified for the event will get a shot at appearing on the main broadcast. Previously, some teams would be relegated to the concurrently running B stream hosted by a separate duo of casters and not get a chance to appear on the main stream even if they performed well. ALGS Split 2 Playoff to feature more teams on main stage The B stream will not be going away, the event will be running too many matches and perspectives at once to host on one feed, as casters Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin and Athanasios ‘MrGreekGod’ Alestas are set to return for the event. The teams that qualified for the event will play through a group and bracket stage before qualifying for the final day in which they will battle in a marathon of matches to decide the winner of the tournament. The top team will claim $300,000 of the $1,000,000 tournament prize pool. Fans will have a chance to see all 40 attending teams on the mains stream starting on July 13 as the one-weekend event looks to crown another ALGS champion.

  • All Apex Legends Aftermarket buffs & nerfs for Legends & weapons – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Aftermarket buffs & nerfs for Legends & weapons Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer KEHOOBWR] The massive Apex Legends update that kickstarted the Aftermarket Collection Event included major buffs and nerfs for several of the game’s Legends and guns. Apex Legends’ highly-anticipated Aftermarket Collection Event launched on October 6, bringing a flurry of new content and big changes to the popular battle royale. Along with major additions like cross-play, the Flashpoint LTM, and a bunch of awesome new cosmetics, the patch also implemented tweaks to various characters and weapons. Included in that list were Pathfinder and Wraith, two of the game’s more popular Legends, as well as guns like the Devotion, Spitfire, and Triple-Take. Legend changes Pathfinder A lot of fans were upset with Respawn for nerfing Pathfinder’s popular Grapple ability several months ago by raising its cooldown from 15 seconds to 35. As a result, the devs have made the timer dependent on the distance the character travels using it. Now, the cooldown can range from 10 seconds for the shortest distance traveled to a maximum of 35, which, according to the devs, was actually inspired by a Reddit post! “This both buffs Path a little less for the scariest robot players out there and it also opens up room for extra skill expression,” they remarked. “Can you find useful short-distance grapples that’ll give you a shorter CD but still do something good for you?” Wraith Wraith’s change may not seem like much on paper, but it has devastated a lot of fans. Following this patch, she no longer has the iconic ‘Naruto-style’ sprint; instead, her running animation is more upright, so to open up her body more for enemies to shoot at. “Wraith is a very challenging Legend to nerf,” Respawn said. “We don’t want to hit her abilities anymore. So we started looking at other Legend specific things that could give her this power–and discovered that her sprinting animations are unique in how much they artificially shorten her (by hunching over), thus shrinking her shootable area from the perspective of the enemy.” As for the removal of the popular animation, the developers say they hate to see it gone too: “Now we know her old sprint was iconic and we hate to see it go as well, but we believe this is the best way by far of bringing her in line without having to hit her abilities again.” Not even going to lie… little bit sad about this change 😢 pic.twitter.com/NS3NyzW6FS — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 5, 2020 Bloodhound Bloodhound’s viability in Apex Legends has considerably grown over the past year, as several updates have buffed the Technological Tracker to the point where they’re now part of the meta. This Aftermarket patch slightly nerfed Bloodhound’s Tactical cooldown while the Ultimate ability is active, from six seconds to eight. “The 6.0 changes have been extremely powerful for Bloodhound; we think we might have gone a little far with 6s,” the devs wrote. “Against a competent BH, there would only ever be 2s during which you’re not scanned. Changing it to 8s means you’ve got 4s of being revealed and 4s to reposition in between pulses.” Here are all of the changes pertaining to Legends from the Aftermarket patch notes: Rampart Increased the rate at which Sheila’s bullet spread tightens – – Bloodhound Updated Bloodhound’s tactical cooldown while ultimate is active from 6 seconds to 8 seconds. – – Pathfinder Grapple cooldown is now based on the distance Pathfinder traveled. The shortest possible pull has a 10s cooldown; the maximum cooldown is still 35s, but you’re going to have to swing a very long distance to get there. Have fun out there, friends! – – Grapple cooldown is now based on the distance Pathfinder traveled. The shortest possible pull has a 10s cooldown; the maximum cooldown is still 35s, but you’re going to have to swing a very long distance to get there. Have fun out there, friends! – Wraith Updated Wraith’s sprint animation. Wraith is a very challenging Legend to nerf. We look at Legend performance across a number of axes: how often trios with this Legend on them win games/place highly, how often this Legend gets knockdowns vs is knocked down, how often this Legend is picked. Across each and every single one of these axes, Wraith dominates. And yet each time we hit her abilities (which we’ve done a lot) she bounces back within a few weeks without bleeding a lot of pick rate. Her kit is uniquely useful both in solo games and in highly coordinated games. Also, she’s just really cool. We get it. We don’t want to hit her abilities anymore. We think both she and Pathfinder have been pushed to the edge in terms of cooldown and utility nerfs where pushing them any further would make them a lot less fun to play. We don’t want that! So we started looking at other Legend specific things that could give her this power–and discovered that her sprinting animations are unique in how much they artificially shorten her (by hunching over), thus shrinking her shootable area from the perspective of the enemy. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but taken together with her already small hitbox, it’s a lot of power. This patch, we’re introducing a new set of sprint animations for Wraith. These are much more upright and expose a larger area of her body to gunfire. Now we know her old sprint was iconic and we hate to see it go as well, but we believe this is the best way by far of bringing her in line without having to hit her abilities again. Depending on what we see after these animations go live, we may even be able to put some power back into her abilities (no promises though). As always, we will be listening to feedback and monitoring data on this change. – – Updated Wraith’s sprint animation. – Crypto Crypto’s Drone can now open loot vaults if Crypto has a key in his inventory. It consumes the key as usual. – – Loba Increased range of ultimate & passive from 3100 units to 4500 units. – Loba now starts the match with her ultimate half charged. – – Weapon changes The adjustments to the guns in this patch were not nearly as extensive as those made to the characters, but there were a few powerful weapons that were tweaked to better balance out the loot-pool. For starters, the almighty Devotion’s hip-fire spread was increased at a base level, and that spread will also now continue to grow while the LMG is being fired. That same hip-fire increase was also implemented to the Spitfire in order to “keep the numbers consistent with similar weapons in the same class,” according to the devs. However, they’ve compensated for that change by reducing the horizontal recoil on the LMG. Last but not least, the Triple Take got a minor nerf as its fire rate was reduced from 1.4 to 1.3. There you have it, those are all of the Legend and weapon buffs and nerfs from the Aftermarket event patch on October 6! • Alinity stunned by how good Shroud is at Apex Legends – Dexerto

Alinity stunned by how good Shroud is at Apex Legends HyperX, YouTube / Alinity, TwitchPopular Twitch streamer Alinity Divine was in the midst of a game of Apex Legends when her squad ran into former CS:GO pro Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek – leaving Alinity with a stunned take on his skills. One of Alinity’s teammates warned her that the human aimbot was in their game, begging her to be careful before Alinity was ultimately eliminated by another player as Shroud’s squad pulled up on top of her. However, Alinity didn’t seem to be too convinced of her team’s victory, shouting, “Guys, we’re so fucking dead!” before her teammate decided to take matters into her own hands. Alinity’s hilarious take on Shroud’s aimbot-like skills Player ‘TwitchGuhRL’ hatched a plan to take out the former gaming pro after the other squads were weeded out, with Alinity attempting to give directions thanks to viewers from Shroud’s stream; however, she was later eliminated before she could execute her plan, prompting a hilarious comment from Alinity on Shroud’s Apex prowess. “Honestly I have to say, every time I played against Shroud, I’ve just gotten shredded,” Alinity said of their interaction. “Like, fucking shredded. It’s insane. I don’t know, man. He’s not human. The guy is a fucking alien.” Alinity’s commentary comes as no surprise; Shroud is known for his incredibly precise aim in nearly every game he plays, with Apex Legends being the latest title in which he regularly flexes his skill. Shroud’s Apex Legends bump In one instance, Shroud managed to clutch out a game all on his own, isolating his enemies one by one with stellar movement and taking the win – prompting fellow streamer TimTheTatMan to call him “insane.” Apex Legends likewise saw a massive leap in Shroud’s viewcount on Twitch, regularly securing massive audiences of over 100,000 viewers in early February – which even made him question if he were being viewbotted. “Day after day, at fucking 11PM, 2AM, 3AM there’s just 100,000 people hanging out,” Shroud said of his numbers. “I don’t even believe it’s real. I think it’s being botted. Someone out there is botting someone, I just don’t believe it’s real. But I mean, I’ll take it!” Alinity’s take on Shroud follows her scandal from early March on the platform, where she took a NSFW booty pic on stream – inciting an incredulous reaction across Twitch as to why she hadn’t been punished for the photo.

  • All abilities leaked for Conduit in Apex Legends – Dexerto

All abilities leaked for Conduit in Apex Legends In the mid-season 3 update for Apex Legends, two new unreleased legends were added to the game’s files, including their name and abilities. Here’s everything we know about new character ‘Conduit’. The first legend we looked at was Forge, who was added at the same time, described as an “augmented brawler” – you can check out his full list of abilities here. There was even some clues in the game files that suggested that Forge could in fact be the next legend added, for Season 4. It was previously expected that Rosie (aka Loba) would be the next legend. Alongside Forge though, was another new character, still in development, called ‘Conduit’. Thanks to prolific data miner That1MiningGuy, we now know a lot more about this character from the game files. Alongside Forge, Conduit was first leaked on November 5, but there was very little to go on for his character, with only code attached, and no image. The code does tell us his tentative abilities though, and he is described as an “Overshield Conductor.” What are Conduit’s abilities? Tactical: Arc Flash: Deals damage to Conduit’s shields to give targeted allies an overshield. – Passive: Capacitance: Conduit’s base health is 50 health and 50 shield, instead of 100 health. Conduit gradually regenerates shield over time. – Ultimate: Short Circuit: Conduit channels their shields into a giant arc ball that flies across the battlefield, stealing shields from enemies. – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvBnOA5MxhA What is Overshield in Apex Legends? You’ll notice that ‘overshield’ is not currently a thing in Apex Legends, but That1MiningGuy explains that it is a new item set to release in the future. Although not confirmed, the leaker believes that overshield could be referring to the previously leaked ‘evolving body shield’. This is a special type of shield that improved depending on how many kills a player gets. It’s likely that if overshield is added, then Conduit would be added at the same time, to complement the new item. It’s clear from these abilities that Conduit is a form of shield support legend, which is similar to another previously leaked character, Immortal. Immortal’s abilities were slightly different though, as he was able to repair his own and teammates’ sheilds by releasing a ‘cloud of Nanites’. Immortal’s leaked Ultimate allows him to completely restore full health and shield. When will Conduit be added to Apex Legends? So far, Respawn have only added on new legend per season. For Season 4, it was expected this would be Rosie (aka Loba), but this is not confirmed. Leaks not only hinted at Forge coming as a character in the next season, but possibly more. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1191847026188857344 The code was written ‘season4chars’ – the plural potentially indicating that for the first time, Respawn will add more than one legend. Purely by the fact that Conduit was added to the game files at the same time as Forge, it’s possible that they’re both going to be added together. Currently, though, this is all unconfirmed, and with these legends still in development, anything could happen. As always, data mined leaks are the best kind that we have, but are never guarantees of what is to come.

  • All abilities leaked for Reckoner: Unreleased Apex Legends character – Dexerto

All abilities leaked for Reckoner: Unreleased Apex Legends character An Apex Legends data miner has revealed details about a new character in development for Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale – known as Reckoner – possibly coming at some point in the future. Now that Season 3 is in full swing, players are looking forward to Respawn Entertainment’s next move in their bid to expand their diverse roster of characters. Reputable data miner and leaker, That1MiningGuy, has trawled through the game files and unveiled new details surrounding an unreleased character known as ‘Reckoner’. Who is Reckoner? Referred to as a ‘Self-Sacrificing Romantic’, there is very little known about Reckoner from the in-game files. With that in mind, it is likely that the leaked Legend is still in the early stages of development. However, with a character subtitle that gears towards sacrifice, it would be logical to assume that Reckoner will support those with more of a gung-ho style of play. What are Reckoner’s abilities? Reckoner’s abilities also seem to reflect a run-and-gun playstyle — since the passive appears to significantly weaken nearby opponents (almost priming them for a follow-up from teammates). Moreover, the leaked passive and tactical appear to go hand-in-fist, since the deployment of the energy beam will aid in the process of breaking enemy shields. Reckoner’s abilities Passive: Shield Blast — “Upon breaking shields will emit an explosion, damaging nearby enemies.” – Tactical: Shield Stealer — “Fire an energy beam that drains enemy shields and charges your own.” – Ultimate: Gravity Orb — “Throw a slow moving gravity orb that bends the trajectory of nearby attacks.” – When will Reckoner be added to Apex Legends? Since very little is known about the character from the scripts in code, it is highly unlikely that the Self-Sacrificing Romantic is set to appear in World’s Edge during Meltdown. So far, Respawn have only added one legend per season, so it’s unlikely we see any new characters until Season 4. Although, the addition of Reckoner into Season 3 would inject some fast-paced action into the current defensive meta that comes with Crypto. Other characters, like Rosie (aka Loba) and Nomad, are much further along in development, and so it’s likely they would be added before a less-developer legend like Reckoner. You can see a full list of leaked legends and their abilities here.

  • All abilities leaked for unreleased Apex Legends character Rampart – Dexerto

All abilities leaked for unreleased Apex Legends character Rampart that1miningguyAll of the abilities for Apex Legends character, Rampart, have been leaked. The potential addition of a new character by the name of Rampart was initially leaked back on February 26, when a list of many unreleased Legends, including Octane and Wattson, had initially been uncovered. More evidence has been leaked by popular data miner, That1MiningGuy, suggesting the new Legend that Respawn Entertainment are working on could soon be ready for action after uncovering the character’s in-game abilities. The first of Rampart’s leaked abilities is called “Amped Cover” and will likely see the champion building a short wall for cover in-game which “provides a damage boost to anyone standing near it.” It has also been revealed that this wall will be available to be picked up and placed again on the ground for players who could make use of some cover while traveling through some of the open plains of King’s Canyon. The second of the new Legend’s abilities leaked include a placeable turret titled as “My Friend Maxim” that players will be able to drop anywhere for their themselves or their squad to make use of. Topic starts at 3:25 for mobile users. All Rampart abilities in Apex Legends According to the leaked game files, which are possibly still in development and subject to change, Rampart’s abilities in Apex Legends are as follows: Amped Cover – Builds cover that provides a damage boost to anyone standing near it, can be picked up and moved. – My Friend Maxim – Places a mounted machine gun that anyone in the squad can use, uses heavy ammo. – Fixer – Swapping to melee equips a wrench players can use to repair structures. – Cover Fire – Firing from the Amped Cover overcharges your weapon damage. – Gunner – LMG’s have increased magazine capacity and reload faster – Rampart’s placeable turret appears to make use of heavy ammo for its rounds, so players will likely have to stock up quite a bit during games once this Legend is released, “Place a mounted machine gun that anyone in the squad can use. Uses heavy ammo.” That1MiningGuy also revealed that another upcoming character Crypto may be able to hack these turrets with his abilities, claiming that he also has some turret handling skills in his code. “I actually think that these are the turrets that will be interfaceable by Crypto, whether he’ll be able to take control of them or hack them and blow them up.” Another one of Rampart’s leaked abilities is called “Fixer” allowing him to wield a wrench which could be used to repair some of his own turrets, “swapping to melee equips a wrench you can use to repair structures. Rampart also has an ability called “Cover Fire,” and the description of the ability adds to the claims that the use of his cover wall can provide a damage boost, “Firing from cover overcharges your gun damage. The final ability which was leaked was titled “Gunner,” which could possibly be Rampart’s passive ability, increases magazine capacity and shortens reload times when the Legend is wielding a light machine gun. It is unknown as of yet, which order these abilities will be in when it comes to the character’s passive and ultimate abilities with That1MiningGuy claiming that Rampart could have more than one passive ability due to the nature of those leaked already. The legend is expected to join the queue behind two other legends Respawn have teased, Crypto and Rosie which many fans expect to be released for Season 3, before making an appearance in-game.

  • All abilities for leaked Legend Valk in Apex Legends – Dexerto

All abilities for leaked Legend Valk in Apex Legends For the final entry in our breakdown of all unreleased characters in Apex Legends, here’s everything we know about the leaked legend Valk, thanks to leaks and rumors. So far, we have a total of twelve legends that have been leaked via the game files, with some of the more well-known names including Rosie (also known as Loba), Nomad and Revenant. Crypto was added at the start of Season 3, but thanks to leaks, we already knew pretty much everything about his look and abilities beforehand, proving that the details in these game files are, for the most part accurate. It should be noted, though, that these characters are still in development, and a lot can change. Much of the information we have about Valk comes from reputable data miner That1MiningGuy, who has also provided many of the other details about various unreleased legends. However, the initial leak which cemented Valk’s existence as a legend came from the leaked development sheet, which showed a variety of work-in-progress characters. Valk can be seen in the ‘Design Alpha’ section next to Rampart – check out everything we know about Rampart here. Valk’s abilities in Apex Legends With the exception of the VTOL Jets, this legend’s abilities are all fairly straight forward. As for how the tactical ability will work, we’ll simply have to wait and see. Passive: Afterburners – After initial drop, Valk and her teammates fly faster while skydiving. – Tactical: VTOL Jets – Hold to hover. – Ultimate: Skyward – Valk and nearby allies take to the skies after a short countdown. – “The Soaring Aviator” Valk’s nickname in the game files is the “soaring aviator,” which links into her abilities. Valk itself is believed to be short for ‘Valkyrie’ – a name based in Norse mythology. As Wikipedia describes them, Valkyrie’s “choose those who may die in battle and those who may live.” It’s likely that Valk is at least partly inspired by the design of female pilots in the Titanfall series, which of course Respawn also developed, and is the universe in which Apex Legends is set. Why is this even a thing… In Norse mythology, a valkyrie (/vælˈkɪəri, -ˈkaɪri, vɑːl-, ˈvælkəri/; from Old Norse valkyrja “”chooser of the slain””) is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Valk is likely short for Valkyrie — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) October 16, 2019 When will Valk be added? This, we don’t know. It’s believed that Rosie (Loba) is the next most complete legend, along with Nomad and Revenant (the latter has already been added to Apex Legends as the organizer of the ‘Shadowfall LTM’). Valk and Rampart are both still in development, at least judging by the leaked dev sheet, so as far as we know they’re still planned for a release at some point. So far, Respawn have only added a new legend for each season, and there’s no indication they will speed this process up, so for now, we can expect a new legend at the start of Season 4.

  • ALGS secretly finishes event ruined by Apex Legends hacker – Dexerto

ALGS secretly finishes event ruined by Apex Legends hacker Joe Brady/ ALGSALGS completed the North American Regional Final in secret, without a live stream, following the massive hack during last week’s competition. The high-profile hack of multiple Apex Legends pros during the ALGS NA Regional Final caused quite a problem for Respawn as the developer had to deal with its digital vulnerability while keeping its esports circuit on track. The solution the company came to was to finish the competition in secret, without a live stream, audience, or advertising. Observant pro Apex fans noticed on March 25 that no one in the NA league was streaming and that many pros were in custom lobbies. This led many to speculate that the players were finishing up under the radar. TSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen, one of the victims of the hack, confirmed the secret competition on social media after its conclusion and posted the results. He also said the matches will be broadcast on March 26 and that he will upload a video to his YouTube channel for fans to watch the competition from his perspective. “Yes TSM Won. Yes, we did it off stream Yes we are going to f****** LAN. We are back baby,” he said. While Respawn has said that they are working on the vulnerability on their end, the developer did not want to leave even a small chance that Destroyer2009, or any other hacker, could impact the integrity of the competition. With the NA Regional Final completed, the Split 1 ALGS Playoffs roster of qualified teams has been filled out. North American squads should have ample time to get their travel and accommodations to attend the LAN tournament set to start in May in Los Angeles. Respawn and its cyber security team will have a few months to get their systems in check as online pro Apex competition does not resume until after the LAN tournament. The hacking and cheating issue in Apex Legends is far from over, however, as even Hal has said that the game’s Ranked mode is still full of people using exploits to rank up.

  • ALGS Split 1 Playoffs mired in uncertainty as Apex teams hit by visa issues – Dexerto

ALGS Split 1 Playoffs mired in uncertainty as Apex teams hit by visa issues Respawn EntertainmentMulitple Apex Legends teams that qualified for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs have been hit with visa issues which have caused them to drop out of the event, or use substitute players. The Apex Legends Global Series Split 1 Playoffs are set to take place in London on February 2 with 40 teams fighting for a top finish. But, not every team and player that qualified will get to play at the event as the tournament has been plagued by visa issues. DEWA United, Fire Beavers and Pioneers are some of the teams that have been hit with difficulties securing a visa for the United Kingdom. ALGS Split 1 Playoffs visa issues hit multiple teams Fire Beavers is a European esports organization with two Russian players on its ALGS Split 1 Playoffs roster. Svyatoslav ‘ojrein’ Korochinsky, one of the team’s Russian players, confirmed on Twitter that he was not able to get a visa in time and will not be able to compete in the event. Pioneers also had to switch out Maksym ‘Max-Strafe’ Stadniuk, a Ukrainian veteran, for a substitute player before the event due to visa issues. Other teams with Russian players, like Alliance and Aurora, could also face difficulty securing visas in time for the competition. Neither team has said that they will field substitutes or if they have had trouble with the process yet. The players on Aurora were previously denied travel visas to the United States for the ALGS Championship in 2022. Alliance currently has TSM content creator Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek listed as a potential substitute. Miron ‘Effect’ Novikov would be the player he might replace as he hails from Russia. Effect is currently listed as countryless on Liquidpedia as he ‘does not want to be represented by the Russian flag.” DEWA United, however, has had to exit the tournament entirely. The team’s coach Fajar ‘Salvatorez’ Rofianto announced on February 3 that one of his players was not able to secure a visa and thus the team was forced to exit the event. The ALGS Split 1 Playoffs is set to run from February 2-5 with $1 million on the line for qualified teams.

DarkZero win ALGS Split 2 Playoffs: Final placements and recap Twitch.tv/PlayApexThe ALGS Split 2 Playoffs have come to a close, with DarkZero claiming the trophy and the grand pize of $300,000! Here is everything you need to know about the second major tournament of the season, Five months after hosting the Split 1 playoffs, the Copper Box Arena, in London, staged the second major event of the season, with 40 teams from all over the world vying for the lion’s share of a $1 million prize purse. After three action-packed days, the pool was whittled down to 20 teams for the Finals, featuring the highly popular Match Point format. DarkZero and TSM, the reigning ALGS champions and the Split 1 winners, respectively, both became match point eligible in the third game, but neither team seemed able to capitalise on it. As the Finals dragged on, three other teams entered the race for the title after hitting the 50-point mark. It was only in the seventh game that a winner was found. Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry was the hero as DarkZero came out on top of a highly contested final ring to claim the trophy. The victory comes as a much-needed a boost after a rough Split 1, when the team almost didn’t make the Playoffs and placed 13th in London. The team seems to have rediscovered its magic with Brody ‘Xynew’ Geissler, who could not have dreamed of a better LAN debut. “It’s insane, I cannot believe it,” Xynew said after the final. “I never thought I’d be here. Shoutout to my teammates. Third win for them. They’re insane.” Tier-one Apex returns in September for the final event of the season, the ALGS Championship. EMEA has two extra slots in addition to its regular eight, with APAC North (eight), South America (four) and APAC South (four) having one extra slot apiece. • ALGS Year 3 format revealed: LAN events, prize pool, invited teams – Dexerto

ALGS Year 3 format revealed: LAN events, prize pool, invited teams Respawn / EAThe Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) is returning for Year 3 with a $5 million prize pool and three international LAN events. The format has slightly changed from Year 2, with fewer teams in Pro League to increase competition. The Apex Legends esports ecosystem finally got off the ground in 2022 with a return to LAN for the first time in three years and the game’s biggest event, the ALGS Championship in Raleigh. Respawn and EA are upping the ante in ALGS Year 3 though with a more consolidated system, three guaranteed LAN events, and an equal prize pool of $5 million worldwide. Here’s how the format works. ALGS Year 3 format details: Prize pool, LAN events The ALGS Year 3 format will follow very closely to the one set out in Year 2 — but with the three guaranteed LANs on the table following the success of Stockholm and Raleigh. There is a $5 million USD prize pool split across the five regions, which remains unchanged from the Year 2 reward. This includes big prizes at the Split 1 and 2 Playoffs, both held on LAN, as well as the ALGS Championship in 2023. There will still be promotion and relegation between Pro League and Challenger Circuit, with the top tier two teams being rewarded for great performances more frequently, and the bottom top-flight teams having to fight for their lives. Eligibility for ALGS has dropped from Gold IV to Silver IV, opening up the playing field to more. However, all participants must compete on PC through Steam. ALGS Year 3 invited teams: All regions While there are a number of teams continuing from ALGS Year 2 into Year 3, the overall number of teams in Pro League has been cut from 40 to 30 per region. 22 of the teams have been invited, with the final eight in the five regions fighting through the Challenger Circuit for a spot. The Preseason Qualifiers will take place across October 2022 ahead of the launch of ALGS Year 3 Split 1 on November 6. The invited Pro League teams are all top performers from ALGS Year 2. This includes all the big names: TSM, NRG, Furia, Sentinels, SCARZ, GMT Esports, Natus Vincere, Fnatic, FENNEL — the list goes on. The biggest move is DarkZero, with the ALGS Champions hailing from APAC South moving to North America for the next season. You can find a full list of the invited teams to ALGS Year 3 below, split into their respective regions.

Reignite wins ALGS 2022 Split 2 Playoffs: Full recap & results EAThe ALGS Pro League has wrapped up 2022 Split 2, with the playoffs finally on LAN after two years. 40 of the best teams around the world descended on Stockholm, Sweden, aiming to be called the Apex Champions. However, while the hopes and dreams of LAN were there, sadly they were cut short due to the global health crisis. Now in 2022 Split 2, after two long years, Apex headed back on LAN. 40 teams went to Stockholm, Sweden, to contest the first in-person event since 2019 for the battle royale title. Rising to claim the throne this year was Reignite, who claimed the top spot in dominant fashion. Below is the full ALGS Pro League 2022 Split 2 playoffs action including scores, and final results. Contents ALGS Pro League 2022 Split 2 playoffs: Recap The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs ran for 3 days, from April 29 to May 1. Interestingly enough eventual champs Reignite didn’t record a first-place finish until Day 2 of the competition. Instead, they racked up second and third-place finishes to keep the points coming. Finals day is when Reignite really stepped up, recording two first-place finishes to seal their top finish. Reignite has recorded plenty of first-place finishes at ALGS events this year, but the $250,000 prize from Split 2 is the biggest purse they’ve grabbed so far. Big names have all made the cut — popular European squads SCARZ and Alliance will both be in attendance, and so too TSM, Cloud9, and NRG from NA. Sentinels is arguably the biggest omission from the American cohort. Some teams are playing with substitutes due to the war in Ukraine stopping visa approvals for some players. This has primarily affected European teams Players, K1CK, and GMT Esports. Others, like Reignite’s Genburten, might miss out on competition due to health protocols. • ALGS Championship team chooses to play with only two players due to lack of “synergy” – Dexerto

ALGS Championship team chooses to play with only two players due to lack of “synergy” Joe Brady/ ALGSAurora Gaming is playing the remainder of the ALGS Championship tournament with only two players, after they told their third teammate there was a lack “synergy”. Aurora Gaming is an EMEA team hit with visa issues before the ALGS Championship began. The organization announced on September 5 that its IGL Kiryl ‘9impulse’ Kostsiu and Lev ‘taskmast33r’ Grigoriev had not yet secured visas for the tournament. 9impulse eventually secured his papers to play at the British LAN tournament, however, the team’s IGL has not been able to secure his in time to play so far. So, the organization brought in Entropiq player Jose ‘Uxako’ Llosa to compete in his stead. With the substitute, Aurora was able to secure 60 points in the group stage and a spot in the loser’s bracket of the next stage of the tournament. However, Uxako revealed hours ahead of the bracket stage on social media that Aurora had opted to play without him due to “synergy” issues. “Kinda sad since I traveled for a lot of hours but it is what it is, I wigh them GL. Just posting it so no one gets surprised when I’m not on stage,” he said. Aurora playing ALGS Championship with only two players Uxako said that Aurora had decided to play with their emergency substitute, but an administrator for Apex Legends Esports responded to the post saying the team could not do that without a real emergency. “So this means Aurora is choosing to play with 2 players. A qualifying emergency would have to occur to allow them to utilize an emergency sub,” Zac Conely, a League Operations Manager for Apex Legends, said. Hours later, Aurora loaded into the first match of the loser’s bracket with only Kiryl ‘9impulse’ Kostsiu and Svyatoslav ‘ojrein’ Korochinsky in the server. Aurora could have reinstated Uxako back into the lineup, however, according to in-game chat logs during the tournament the Spanish player did not want to continue to play for the team. “Ye he don’t want to play with us anymore,” 9impluse allegedly wrote in the in-game chat. Uxako later claimed that the team wanted him to say he was sick so that they could use their emergency substitute. After Aurora were eliminated from the competition, 9impulse released a statement stating his version of events. “We took Uxako. It was my decision since I think he’s a strong player, but on LAN we realised he has a very different game vision, me and ojrein are not playing his way, and he doesn’t understand how we usually play,” 9impulse said. “I wish only good luck to him and his team and I wish they will qualify for LAN.” He also posted a supposed screenshot of his conversation with Uxako asking him to say he is sick so that Aurora can field their emergency substitute.

  • ALGS Commissioner interview: What is the future of Apex Legends esports? – Dexerto

ALGS Commissioner interview: What is the future of Apex Legends esports? Respawn EntertainmentLooking back on the past year and disregarding obstacles outside of your control, how do you feel about the growth of Apex Legends as an esport? I think Apex Legends esports is in a great place. Obviously we set out at the beginning of this year to have a much different Apex Legends Global Series then we ended up with, one that was set to have at least 12 live events — and the world said “you can’t have any, it must all be online.” But we’ve really hit a groove now with the online circuits and found a formula for Apex Legends esports (while it needs to be online). And it’s really working: working for the players that are participating and we’ve been seeing viewership grow over time as well. We had to work through a lot of adversity this year, but are really excited about where we’ve ended up and are poised to return to live events as soon as it’s safe to do so. Apex Legends enjoys an eager casual fanbase and a lot of the game’s content is geared toward that group. Is there a lag in esports growth compared to casual growth? I definitely haven’t observed something like that. In some ways, the opposite is true. Each season, we’re seeing more and more players engaging with the game’s ranked leagues, which is really where a lot of players get their competitive start: They measure themselves within the ranked leagues and then graduate, to a degree, into the Apex Legends Global Series. So, really, the increased enthusiasm around the in-game ranked system and seeing ALGS players like ImperialHal being influencers in the game really goes to show how, from a viewership standpoint, even if it’s not ALGS content all the time, how enthusiastic viewers are about watching some of the best players in the world. Considering the aforementioned content drops, how much dialogue is there between Respawn’s esport and casual teams to ensure new additions fit competitive goals? Essentially, how much focus is on ensuring that things that are great at a competitive level do not turn cheesy at the professional level? I think there’s a couple different angles for this one. First, I can say that the Respawn development team listens to feedback across the skill spectrum, but, in particular when talking about esports, they’ve listened to the professional community and their thoughts on how to improve the game in certain ways. Although I can’t speak to specifics, I think that, in 2021, we will see things come to the game which are improvements based specifically on professional player feedback. 18 hours in and i still dont miss pic.twitter.com/bRB5Txs8Yn — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) December 31, 2020 What we see a lot in games that have legends with particular abilities is that, based on the skill level, we might see the use of different guns and different legends at a Gold level, a Diamond level or an ALGS Finals level. There’s differences there. And I think that contributes to a healthy game, with guns or legends that have a prevalence or a usefulness at some skill levels, but maybe not others. The community gets to enjoy those things in different ways. At what point does there become a split, where, as an example, attachments are permitted in the base game but prohibited in the ALGS? We take those things legend by legend and item by item, but I have tremendous faith in the Respawn development team to be able to design things that are balanced with each other and to take feedback from the community when necessary to continue to make the game balanced moving forward. But there are even instances now where we’ve made changes to remove things from competitive play, the Gold Knockdown Shield is a good example of that — which hasn’t been a part of the ALGS since this summer. With regards to legends and abilities, other esports like League of Legends and Overwatch have introduced hero bans (or selection restraints). Is that something the ALGS are considering as the game’s portfolio of legends grows? It is. I don’t know that it’ll ever truly be a part of Apex Legends esports, but it’s definitely something that we consider. It also just brings another interesting dynamic to the esport itself. It drives conversation between fans and between analysts of the gameplay, just trying to predict what a team’s bans are going to be and how they are going to strategize based on the bans that have come out and the legend pool that is available to them. It definitely has some positives there. We’re obviously not in a place yet where we need to implement something like that, but it’s definitely a thought that we’ve given consideration to for the future. Speaking of RNG-based issues, there have been concerns about ring logic and how it affects the game at a competitive level. Have you guys seen and considered community suggestions for introducing preset ring movements? Absolutely, we’ve seen that sort of suggestion or, at least, the suggestion that there be a little more regularity to ending circles within ALGS play. And, again, I can’t speak to any specifics of things that may come to the game in the future, but I can say that we’ve heard that feedback and have had discussions around potential solves for it. What you brought up previously—having more regularity to the ending circles or more predictability—is one of the things that we’ve been discussing. Compared to Autumn, what wrinkles should fans expect from the Winter Circuit? We made some slight tweaks to the way that spots are awarded in the playoffs. We moved our broadcast from Mondays to Sundays, so I think our Winter Circuit broadcast will benefit from being on the weekends and all of our fans who have some more time to devote to watching the ALGS on the weekend than they do on the weekday. Like I said earlier, we’ve really found a groove with these circuits so there wasn’t a whole lot to change between Autumn and Winter. One of the big things is that we did increase the prize pool, which is up to $750,000 now. What that really represents is the growth of the Apex Legends Global Series. It reflects that growth and should be seen as an expectation moving forward of prize pools at least that large. Aside from the prize pool, what are plans for the ALGS placement points earned by teams during each circuit? It has always been our intention, since we launched the Apex Legends Global Series, for ALGS points to be a determining factor in qualification for live events. So once we are able to return to live events we intend to make good on that. Read more: $750,000 Apex Legends ALGS Winter Circuit – For the better part of this year and how we’ve had to pivot the ALGS, a lot of players have wondered, outside of this self-contained circuit, ‘what are my points for?’ and we very much intend to use them as intended as qualifications for live events once those are physically possible again. And I’m assuming part of that will entail interregional events? When I say returning to live events I’m talking about returning to global live events. It’s been since September of last year at the Preseason Invitational since we’ve been able to crown a global champion and we’re really looking forward to the day when we can do that again. At the regional level, is a different approach to the meta by each region something that viewers should expect to see? It is actually. From APAC North to APAC South to Europe, North America and South America, each region really has their own meta. Summer Circuit Playoffs, for example, we saw, in APAC North, a Revenant on every single team — and I’m not sure that we saw a single one in the Americas’ playoffs. And, again, throughout the Autumn Circuit, we’ve seen that sort of thing play out where each region sort of has their own meta. So from the one standpoint of just wanting to be able to crown a global champion, I can’t wait for live events. but also I can’t wait for these regions, that have had their siloed competitions for a long time now, to mix metas and see what happens when those different legend combinations come together again. After a delay, the ALGS Winter Circuit will begin on January 29. It will be followed by the Apex Legends Global Series Championship, which will host the best 60 teams, and a $1 million prize pool.

  • ALGS map pool expands with Storm Point in big move for Apex Legends pro play – Dexerto

ALGS map pool expands with Storm Point in big move for Apex Legends pro play Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro play is undergoing a huge change heading into Season 12 — from February, the ALGS Pro League and all esports events will add Storm Point to the battle royale’s competitive map pool alongside World’s Edge. Storm Point joins World’s Edge in what is now a two-map rotation for the ALGS. The expansion marks the first time since Season 8 the pro scene has boasted two options. The Apex Legends competitive scene originally launched with World’s Edge and Kings Canyon as twin options, before Kings Canyon was scrapped over its “late-game zone quality options”. The majority of 2021’s circuit was then contested with World’s Edge as the lone map. In 2022, the circuit is back to two maps again. “Some exciting changes are inbound for Split 2,” Respawn announced. “Storm Point is coming to ALGS. Time to see how strategies shift Legends. We are watching.” Some exciting changes are inbound for Split 2! 💥Storm Point is coming to the #ALGS💥 Time to see how strategies shift, legends. We are watching. 😈 pic.twitter.com/5y5VqM5AEq— Apex Legends Esports (@PlayApexEsports) February 7, 2022 Storm Point joins the Apex Legends pro circuit with several environmental and dropship changes at its back, after the Season 12 patch went live on February 7. In particular, Respawn are toning down the map-wide Prowlers, who have reportedly been “a bit too punishing and not quite rewarding enough” to justify their placement around the tropical map. They’re having their damage reduced, targeting AI changed, and will now drop better crafting materials. The map’s ship pathing is also being tweaked. Respawn sees the flight paths as “healthy,” but is rejigging the logic to cross by Highpoint and Lightning Rod more. Respawn has been hard at work determining the best map to add to the competitive rotation for some time now, and obviously skipped on re-adding Kings Canyon or promoting Olympus to the pro lobby options. “In terms of determining what maps are in ALGS, feedback plays a big part,” league commissioner John Nelson told Hotspawn in November. “We want to make sure the ALGS community is satisfied with the number and the specific maps that are part of the professional map rotation.” Storm Point will make its pro Apex Legends debut on February 26, when ALGS 2022 Split 2 Pro League begins in America, Europe, and across the globe.

  • Apex Legends pro claims he was paid $100k by accident as other players demand missing prize money – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro claims he was paid $100k by accident as other players demand missing prize money Joe Brady/ ALGSAn Apex Legends pro ‘Zeddo’ has claimed that he was paid $100,000 in prize winnings for his placement at the ALGS NA Pro League Split 1, but he only ever subbed in for the 12th-place team. Zeddo posted the claim to social media on July 9 including a screenshot of an email from Esports Engine, a tournament organizer that has run multiple top esports leagues including ALGS events. The photos included the total the TO allegedly sent to him, which was $100,026.45. Zeddo subbed in for Native Gaming during the split for one day but was not a full-time pro for the team. Native Gaming finished 12th in the competition, earning a total of $2,000 in prize winnings. Many other Apex Legends pros have also taken to social media to accuse the Apex Legends Global Series of delaying their prize pool payments and sending across a meager amount instead. Chase ‘Shooby’ Vasquez finished sixth in the 2024 North American Split 1 Pro League and 16th in the Split 2 Playoffs. But he has since accused the league of failing to pay out a large portion of the prize pool he won with Elev8 Gaming during the first North American Pro League split of 2024 and the Split 1 Playoffs on July 9. “I was paid only $512 of the $5600 I’m owed by ALGS ($2000 for pro league split 1 & $3600 for playoffs split 1) these tourneys were played months ago,” he claimed. Shooby also included a screenshot of an email from EsportsEngine that said he would be fully paid in five business days. The Apex Legends pro explained in a reply that waiting two or three months for prize money is typical, but was frustrated when he ended up waiting three months to receive only $500. Other ALGS players have come forward saying in replies to Shooby’s post that they were also waiting on the rest of their prize pool winnings from Pro League, Split 1 Playoffs, or both, including Will ‘TeQ’ Starck, James ‘KIMCHILEE’ Lee, Stephen ‘Reedz’ Bailey, Tyler ‘Tyler’ Wood, and Casper ‘Gnaske’ Præstensgaard. Gnaske, who currently plays for Ninjas in Pyjamas, claimed he was also “scammed” out of thousands in prize winnings from the 2024 EMEA Pro League and Split 1 Playoffs. He included a screenshot of an email, also sent from Esports Engine. @pglesports y’all scammed me out of a lot of money too, I was supposed to receive 6333$ but only got 992 pic.twitter.com/nDeF2funvU — NIP Gnaske (@Gnaske_Lone) July 9, 2024 Esports Engine and its parent company Vindex was acquired by ESL Faceit Group in 2023 and have since been under the umbrella of the Savvy Games Group. The company was hit with layoffs shortly after its acquisition and its social media accounts have not posted since 2023. EFG took responsibility for the apparent accounting error in a statement to Polygon. “Due to a systems error, a number of players in recent Apex Legends Global Series competitions received incorrect prize payouts,” an ESL FACEIT representative said. “As the partner responsible for prize fulfillment, we’re working to quickly resolve this issue and ensure that all players receive the correct prize payouts.” This situation comes as casual players have started to discuss whether Apex Legends is nearing the end of its lifespan. The game’s active player count has hit record lows, streamers are decrying the amount of cheaters in their matches, and the new Battle Pass system has not been received well.

  • ALGS announces big changes for Apex Legends esports as China comes in Year 4 – Dexerto

ALGS announces big changes for Apex Legends esports as China comes in Year 4 Joe Brady/ ALGSEA has announced that big changes are coming to the ALGS circuit in Year 4 as Apex Esports expands into new regions and gets bigger prize pools. EA released a big list of announcements coming to the ALGS circuit for its fourth year. The highlights of the lengthy additions include continuing the current LAN system with three big in-person competitions, China joining the ALGS circuit, and increased Challengers Circuit eligibility. The fourth year of the Apex Legends esports competition will see some shake-ups regarding regions. South America will no longer have a pro league and will instead have a Challengers Circuit that feeds into a Regional Finals that will decide which teams will qualify for LAN events. “While this was a difficult decision, we believe that this change will enhance the competitive ecosystem in South America,” the announcement said. ALGS will also be adding China as a region. The new region will function in the same way as South America, with two guaranteed spots for each LAN tournament. However, China’s spots will be doled out via invites, instead of by circuit performance. Both regions, however, will have the chance to earn more spots at international events based on performance. ALGS announces changes for Year 4 Another big change EA announced was for international tournament slots. North America will now have 12 spots at the Split 1 Playoffs next season while APAC South, EMEA, and APAC North will all have eight to start out with. Pro League is also seeing an increase in prize money for one league. APAC South has seen its prize pool rise to $125,000 per split, which is now in line with other regions. The prize pool for LAN events will remain the same with Split 1 and Split 2 offering $1 million each and the ALGS Championship offering $2 million. ALGS additionally opened up its requirements for the Challengers Circuit. In Year 4, players who have not played in their team’s most recent series, say a substitute or someone sitting on the bench, are eligible to play in their region’s Challengers Circuit. ALGS has yet to confirm the dates or locations for the LAN tournaments; however, they did confirm the start date for the circuit. Split 1 pro league competition will kick off on January 21, 2024, and the preseason qualifiers are set to start on November 25 and continue until December 18. At the moment, Apex esports fans will have to wait out the off-season as teams build their rosters for the start of the next season.

  • Albralelie leaves FaZe Clan after one ALGS split, plans Apex Legends role swap – Dexerto

Albralelie leaves FaZe Clan after one ALGS split, plans Apex Legends role swap EATSM star Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith has left the hyped FaZe Clan project in Apex Legends after just one ALGS split. After testing the IGL waters, the fragger wants to go back to what he does best for Split 2. FaZe Clan’s arrival into Apex Legends with ex-TSM heroes Albralelie and Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona, alongside young gunner Greg ‘SlurpeeG’ Sabia, was the hyped roster shuffle ahead of ALGS Year 3. However mediocre performances in Split 1 in North America, including missing out on LAN, has seen the team fracture and part ways. Albralelie is the casualty of the roster shuffle, with the first-time IGL but long-time professional parting ways with FaZe Clan ahead of Split 2. It was a mutual decision made by the team, and one Albralelie is content with given the team’s results. “I massively appreciate them ever taking a risk on me in the first place for my first ever split IGL’ing and I wish it could’ve been better but there’s no changing the past,” Albralelie said on December 26. “I can’t say I performed well during my first split of IGL’ing however I can say that I learned a lot about not only myself but what kind of team I want to be a part of and where I fit into any team. “What I realized was that I don’t want to IGL, I just wanted to not be treated like my head is empty. Mutual respect is a huge thing for me and I’m just not okay with being genuinely talked down to or treated like I’m lesser than you just because you lead me in a video game.” There was no bad blood between the trio either, who competed under the ‘ASS’ banner for a number of months before joining FaZe Clan. “One of the most mature teammates I’ve had in all my years competing,” Snip3down said. “We learned a ton and I wish you nothing but the best my man, excited for your future, passion levels are immaculate.” With all that being said, Albralelie is looking for a new team for Split 2 in a fragging position. He’s confident in his skills, and still has the drive to keep improving. However he is taking a small professional break before the first ALGS LAN of 2023 — held in London in February — and won’t be substituting for teams in the interim. “I didn’t qualify [for LAN] and It wouldn’t sit right with me to attend when I haven’t earned it. I appreciate all the love I got during this split and I promise to be the best version of myself in the next one.” Albralelie will be hot property in an open market for ALGS Year 3 Split 2, especially in North America which has seen organizations like Cloud9, Team Liquid, and G2 Esports depart the scene.

  • Albralelie makes bold Apex Legends meta prediction for Season 16 – Dexerto

Albralelie makes bold Apex Legends meta prediction for Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 16 hasn’t been out for two weeks, and players are still scrambling to find the optimal three Legend meta. ALGS player Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith gave his own interpretation of the new meta on Twitter. A new Apex Legends season is still in its infancy, and players are looking to find the optimal compositions. TSM ALGS player Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen took to Twitter to point out how players should start picking up Seer in their matches and that the Legend is still overpowered. Fellow pro player Albralelie responded with his own take on the character and gave his prediction for the coming Apex Legends Season 16 pro and casual meta. Albralelie explained how the new changes to Seer bring down his playability, specifically on World’s Edge, and that the new meta will see Bloodhound played more. Albralelie predicts scan meta 3.0 for Season 16 The ALGS pro pointed out that with the new changes to Bloodhound, his Ultimate now has ravens fly toward the nearest enemy on the map and is on a short cooldown, which will bring incredible value to professional teams. Albralelie said his new meta-composition prediction is Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Valkyrie. The latter two characters have been staples in pro play for many seasons. While scan metas aren’t new to Apex Legends, they have been prevalent in professional play and casual play off and on for years, fans may have to find a new distinction for it this time around. With the introduction of Season 16, the Legends classification has changed slightly, and Bloodhound is in the Recon class. Fans of ALGS and casual players will have to tune into the start of the second split of the pro season to see what meta compositions teams have come up with. The competition starts sometime in March.

TSM content creator Albralelie is coming back to NA ALGS after playing with FaZe Clan as a stand-in during the previous split. The veteran competitor is bringing along his teammate from his time with Cloud9, StayNaughty, after the esports organization pulled out from the title, and lou, who was dropped from Sentinels after a poor showing in Split 1. Albralelie revealed the team, which will compete under the tricode “LAN,” in a Tweet on February 16. Albralelie finds another new team to compete in ALGS Albralelie was recently seen playing with CLG after failing to make the Split 1 Playoffs with FaZe Clan. He finished 20th with the squad. lou was last seen playing with a few different squads since his departure from Sentinels post-Split 1 and StayNaughy teamed up with FaZe Clan for a few events before playing with lou in a few other tournaments while ALGS team’s reloaded their squads for the second split. Albralelie is a journeyman in Apex Legends. Starting his career in 2019 then soon joining TSM, the North American would compete for the org for over a year before switching to steaming and standing for various teams throughout his career. He switched career trajectories a year later when he switched to content creation as a streamer. Albralelie’s team will compete in NA ALGS Group B, with teams like Dark Zero, NRG Esports, and The Guard in the mix, as the league kicks off competing in March.

  • Albralelie shares Gold item Apex Legends trick that makes Lifeline’s ultimate OP – Dexerto

Albralelie shares Gold item Apex Legends trick that makes Lifeline’s ultimate OP Respawn EntertainmentTSM’s Albralelie has shared a little-known Apex Legends Lifeline trick that people are already calling overpowered, and it could be worth keeping tabs on as more players discover and begin using the trick. Albralelie has a well-earned reputation as one of the biggest grinders in all of Apex Legends. The legendary pro has been at the top of the game for most of its young lifetime and has proven time and time again that he’s one of the best players out there. That kind of dedication to Apex Legends is the reason he’s typically among the first to learn of various trick exploits that pop around the game – and this one for the community’s favorite Combat Medic is so strong people are already in disbelief before trying it for themselves. TSM Albralelie shares Apex Legends Lifeline trick that makes her ‘overpowered’ The premise is based around manipulating Lifeline’s ult, providing all Gold rarity items by using a bit of quick trickery. As the TSM veteran explained, the Apex Legends care package loot isn’t determined until the moment a player opens it up. This “smart loot” system will examine the team’s loadout and provide useful items according to whatever a trio has equipped. This means if a whole team has Purple helmets, backpacks, and knockdown shields, all they’d have to do is drop their weapons before opening up the drop to force the game into handing over Gold equipment. When the weapons are on the ground in Apex Legends, the internal system eliminates all attachments from the loot pool, as they would be useless for the person picking them up. A less impactful version of this has been around for a while, but players were only using it to farm Gold knockdowns. However, Albralelie (or whoever he learned it from) took things a step further. While it will take time for other players to catch on to what’s happening with Lifeline, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the Legend pick rate charts to see if she begins to climb out of her middle-of-the-pack position.

  • Apex Legends pro Albralelie explains why you should use R-99 instead of CAR – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro Albralelie explains why you should use R-99 instead of CAR Respawn Entertainment / EA SportsEver since the CAR SMG made its mark in Apex Legends, players have always debated its effectiveness in contrast to the R-99. TSM’s Albralelie has explained why the R-99 still remains the king of the SMGs. The popular battle royale game, Apex Legends, features a plethora of weapons for players to choose and sink their teeth into. Among all of them, two weapons that have secured a spot in players’ loadouts are the R-99 and CAR SMGs. The two SMGs are very similar, while also feeling unique to use. If you’re still wondering which of these two SMGs you should choose to over the other, Albralelie might clear your doubts. Albralelie clears the air between R-99 and CAR SMGs Albralelie, a content creator for TSM and former pro player, gave his take regarding the evergreen debate on the two most efficient SMGs in Apex Legends – R99 and CAR. He explained that he’d opt for the R-99 over the CAR, because strafe speed is better on the former. Both the weapons use the same attachments, but this aspect makes all the difference. Discussing some of the weapons in-game while waiting for a tournament match to start, Alb said, “It just doesn’t matter because of the strafe speed you get from nine (R-99).” This doesn’t mean the CAR SMG is any less efficient. The fact that it has the flexibility of using two types of ammo makes it stand out from the rest of the weapons in the game. However, with the arrival of the latest collection event, this SMG has been added to the Replicator and players need to craft this weapon for getting their hands on it. In the end, weapon choice comes down to personal preference. You always want to use what is more comfortable, and that is perfectly justified.

  • Albralelie claims Apex Legends ranked is broken after NICKMERCS, CouRage climb to Masters – Dexerto

Albralelie claims Apex Legends ranked is broken after NICKMERCS, CouRage climb to Masters Twitch: NICKMERCS / LiquidpediaAfter seeing streamers like Nicholas ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop reach Masters — and even Predator — in Apex Legends without breaking a sweat, Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith explained why the system is broken. Ever since some of the biggest Warzone streamers like NICKMERCS and CouRage jumped ship to Apex Legends, they’ve been dominating in ranked games and quickly hit Masters — the game’s second-highest rank. It’s not surprising since their skills are crazy. However, it’s left people wondering it’s far too easy for relatively new players to break into the upper echelons despite having very little knowledge about the game itself. Albralelie weighed in on the situation and claimed that it isn’t “sad” to see them pull it off because they’re “pros in other games” and “already really talented.” However, he believes it proves the ranked system is “not really that good.” “I think it says a lot about the ranked ladder and how it’s not really that good when it comes to actually being a meaningful ranked ladder,” he said. “You don’t need game knowledge to get a high rank, which is really bad.” “I can’t think of any other game that has ranked where you don’t need game knowledge to get to the highest ranks.” Albralelie didn’t discredit NICKMERCS and CouRage for doing what they did. Instead, he focused on what their dominance means in terms of the game itself, sparking a conversation about how it can be improved moving forward. Albralelie called for sweeping changes in Season 11, including adding demotion from every rank above Gold. This has been echoed by other pros and streamers including Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen. In the end, though, popular streamers like them are still a net positive for the Apex Legends community. Not only do they draw in new players with their daily streams, but their impact will help the game shine on for many years to come.

  • Albralelie explains why he’s finally planning switch to controller in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Albralelie explains why he’s finally planning switch to controller in Apex Legends EAApex Legends star Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith is considering finally giving in and swapping over to controller, saying that there is ‘no reason’ for anyone to stick to mouse and keyboard in competitive play. The debate between using a controller and mouse and keyboard has raged on in games for many years, but when it comes to Apex Legends, things have gotten increasingly fiery over the last few months. Many of the top pros – including TSM’s ImperialHal, who won the Stage 1 playoffs and claimed MVP honors – have switched to controller because of the aim assist benefits they get from it. Some critics have likened the aim assist to a “soft aimbot,” whereas controller players have criticized just how much of an advantage KB/M players have when it comes to movement. There have been a number of notable holdouts among popular players, however, Albralelie is planning to finally make the switch to controller as he believes there is ‘no reason’ to stick to mouse and keyboard. Albralelie planning to finally switch to controller for Apex Legends The former longtime TSM pro, who now represents the orgless ‘LANimals’ squad, addressed the potential switch to ‘the dark side’ on his May 14 stream, noting that it’s too tough for mouse and keyboard players right now. “I just don’t see a point to stay on MNK because it feels like everybody I fight is on ‘roller, so I’m at a natural disadvantage anytime I peak into anybody,” he said. “I just don’t see a point. Movement just doesn’t matter in comp. It just straight up doesn’t matter.” Albralelie noted that he “should” make the switch if he’s focusing on competitive play as it’s “more consistent” but if he competed outside of Apex, he would using mouse and keyboard. Though, it’s “unlikely” he’d compete in anything other than Apex. He even echoed those sentiments on Twitter, as he tweeted: “Can’t think of a reason as a competitor to stay on MnK. For casual play MnK is fine, but to compete? Idk man, I think roller is just better in every way if you’re capable of playing it. Probably gonna hang up the keys and swap in this 2-month off-season we’ve got.” It remains to be seen if there will be a further exodus to controller, but for now, it looks like mouse and keyboard is losing one of the last big holdouts.

  • Aceu’s viral Kraber kill is so good it almost looks like cheating in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu’s viral Kraber kill is so good it almost looks like cheating in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentFormer Apex Legends pro player Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has blown the minds of fans yet again, with an insane no-scope Kraber shot to win a match that is so good that it’s almost cheating. The overwhelming majority of Apex Legends players would agree that the battle royale’s weapon pool is diverse and well-balanced. Different ammo types, ways to acquire weapons and more make a host of guns viable, from the trusty and reliable R301 to the strong and volatile Flatline. Perhaps the most coveted weapon in the game (apart from maybe the legendary Mozambique) is the Kraber .50-Cal Sniper which, as of Season 12, is only available in Care Packages. During a March 25 Twitch stream, former competitive player aceu proved just why it’s so coveted. Aceu, as is pretty standard for a player of his talent, was approaching a final 1v1 with a Kraber in his arsenal. After a teammate spotted the remaining opponent, the former pro accidentally knocked his trigger and, amazingly, the no-scope connects and wins the streamer the match. Thanks to its monumental damage, the Kraber can regularly be a one-shot kill, especially against enemies that don’t have full health or lack decent armor. Aceu, stunned by his no-scope kill for the win, laughed and stated: “Oh my god, I did not mean to do that. I just no-scoped someone on accident, what the f**k. Yeah with the Kraber.” With so many viewers stunned by what the streamer managed, the clip quickly went viral and, at the time of writing, sits at just shy of 40,000 views on Twitch. It’s not the first time Aceu has blown the minds of his viewers, dropping a legendary 1v6 clutch for the win back in Season 11. Plays like this undoubtedly lead to cheating accusations, something Winn has stated he has to put up with annoyingly frequently. We’re inclined to put it down to luck but, as top talents like aceu prove, the better you are, the luckier you get.

  • Aceu’s viral MW2-style trickshot is the perfect way to win a match in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu’s viral MW2-style trickshot is the perfect way to win a match in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has pulled off another unbelievable highlight-reel play with an MW2-style no scope to secure the victory. While the number one priority in an Apex Legends match is picking the win, it’s always better if you can do it in style with a highlight-reel play. Whether it’s a long-range sniper shot, a 1v3 outplay, or a death-defying escape, nothing feels better than beating the odds and pulling off the perfect clip. One streamer that’s no stranger to jaw-dropping outplays is aceu, and he managed to pull off another in a recent stream, leaving his viewers speechless. Securing the victory with a 360 no scope with the Sentinel, aceu’s play harkens back to the days of Modern Warfare 2 trick shots. Aceu pulls off MW2 trickshot in Apex Legends During his May 22 stream, aceu reached the final ring at Barometer with one other squad and decided he wanted to finish the match in style. Realizing that there was only one enemy player left, the streamer climbed up to high ground and geared up for a CoD-style trickshot. Equipped with the Sentinel, aceu knew the opponent was below his position and managed to land a mind-blowing 360 no scope. Leaving his viewers completely stunned, the streamer was shocked he managed to hit the shot and described it as a “vintage MW2” trickshot. With the Kraber being hit with a major nerf in Season 13, a lot of players assumed the days of Apex sniper trick shots were over. However, using the powerful Sentinel, aceu has proven there are still plenty of opportunities to impress with a rifle if you know what you’re doing. So, if you fancy your chances and the highlight-reel play is there for the taking, it may be worth giving it a try, as you miss every shot you don’t take.

  • Alarming Loba design issue makes her vulnerable in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Alarming Loba design issue makes her vulnerable in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentLoba’s character design has been found to have some inconsistencies in Apex Legends that could lead to some big issues with her in the Arena, according to The Gaming Merchant. The battle royale’s community have noticed that her character model and her hitbox didn’t really align in the High Society Thief’s mid-section. The visual bug made hits appear as shots that should have been clear near-misses. But The Gaming Merchant took a deep dive into Loba’s design and found a more pressing issue than her hitbox, since technically its is roughly the same size as other Legends in her classification. The popular Apex YouTuber took Loba into the range and found that her “head perspective” doesn’t let players adequately gauge cover when she’s tucked behind an object. The Merchant found this could easily lead to a scenario where a player might take a shot or two to the head without even knowing they were susceptible to being hit. “Loba’s camera is a different issue,” The Gaming Merchant explained. “Her camera isn’t where her forehead is [similar to the other Legends]. In fact, when you crouch down, pretty much her whole head is showing above the cover when her camera isn’t able to peek out of this cover.” Like in most FPS titles, this is something that will happen most of the time. The player’s perspective doesn’t exactly cover the entire head that would be exposed and visible to other players. However, Loba’s head, compared to Legends like Crypto and Octane, is completely above an edge that the player would otherwise think they are hidden by. The Gaming Merchant said this is a hindrance on the character that could definitely catch people off guard who think they’re safe while healing or reloading. Respawn would be able to quickly fix this by moving the camera placement slightly higher so people can have a better sense of where they stand, according to the YouTuber. This seems like a simple change that would make it much easier for Apex players to know when Loba is in or out of cover, and could be a start to fixing the Season 5 Legend.

  • Aceu shows how “busted” Rampart can be in Apex Legends Season 13 – Dexerto

Aceu shows how “busted” Rampart can be in Apex Legends Season 13 Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has shown why Rampart is “busted” in Season 13 with an array of incredible plays. In the Apex Legends Season 13 update, Respawn decided to buff Rampart by decreasing the spin-up time on her Ultimate and the time it takes for her to set up her Amped Cover. Despite these positive changes, the Amped Modder has retained a relatively low pick rate of 2.5%, with a lot of players calling on Respawn to make further alterations to her kit in the future. Of course, not everyone agrees that she’s a weak pick in the current meta, with popular streamer aceu playing her nonstop throughout Season 13. Calling out Rampart as “busted”, aceu continues to pull off highlight-reel plays with the Amped Modder and is convinced she’s a deadly pick if you know how to use her properly. Aceu thinks Rampart is “busted” in Season 13 While aceu is arguably most well-known for his skill on both Wraith and Horizon, it’s Rampart that’s taken over his streams in Season 13. Ever since the changes that arrived back in May, the streamer has been a huge advocate for the Amped Modder, pairing her damage-boosting cover with the Bocek Bow, and melting squads with her devastating Ultimate ability. In a recent video, aceu even labeled Rampart as a “busted” pick in the current meta after wiping out a group of enemies with Shiela. Thanks to the buffs, the decreased spin-up time makes it extremely difficult for an opponent to fight back against the powerful mini-gun. On top of that, the cover from the Tactical ensures you’ll always get the first shot off on an enemy, giving you the advantage in the majority of gunfights. Topic starts at 8:30 While it’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing Rampart in competitive play anytime soon, there’s no denying that she can be a deadly Legend if used correctly. However, pulling out her Ultimate at the wrong time can result in you being one-shot, so it’s important to know when it’s best to keep Sheila under wraps, and instead wait for the perfect opportunity. Either way, aceu’s endorsement is certainly a good reason to give the Amped Modder a try, especially if you’re looking for a new Legend to main.

  • Aceu sparks debate with solo queue only idea for Ranked in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu sparks debate with solo queue only idea for Ranked in Apex Legends Twitch: Aceu/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has sparked a debate by suggesting that Ranked should be solo queue only. While standard Apex Legends matches are perfect for the majority of the community, some players prefer to test out their skills in a more competitive environment. That’s exactly what the Ranked mode is designed for, with players being pit up against opponents of a similar level with an opportunity to ascend the tiers. Unfortunately, a lot of pros, streamers, and players alike have pointed out glaring issues with Ranked including lack of demotion, three stacks, and no meaningful rewards. In response, aceu has suggested that the true fix for Apex Ranked would be making the mode solo queue only. Aceu reveals how to fix Ranked in Apex Legends Taking to Twitter on April 4, aceu decided to reveal what he thinks is the solution for fixing Apex Legends Ranked, and it seems to have sparked a debate within the community. Simply calling for “solo queue only” Ranked matches, aceu believes Duos and Trios should be removed. Without a doubt, this would prevent certain players from being carried and potentially improve matchmaking as two & three stacks wouldn’t be able to dominate lobbies. However, it would remove a lot of flexibility for players looking to group up with friends and may make the mode less popular. the true fix to apex ranked is to make it solo queue only. but y’all not ready for that conversation — brandon (@aceu) April 4, 2022 Aceu’s tweet received mixed reactions from the community with a lot of players calling out the statement as a “W take”. Despite this, others believe it would “kill a lot of collaborative content” and make it harder for premade groups to practice. Either way, there’s no denying that it would likely lead to a more balanced Ranked experience, but it would definitely come at the expense of some fun for a lot of squads.

  • Aceu stuns viewers with mind-blowing Apex Legends 1v3 before quitting anyway – Dexerto

Aceu stuns viewers with mind-blowing Apex Legends 1v3 before quitting anyway ActivisionApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘Aceu’ Winn has stunned his Twitch viewers with a mind-blowing 1v3 clutch, only to casually leave the match in question seconds after. Despite no longer competing in the ALGS, Aceu is known as one of the most talented Apex Legends players on the planet. He’s also an incredibly popular content creator, currently boasting over 2.8 million followers on Twitch. Whether it’s his forthright views on the current state of Apex or jaw-dropping gameplay to secure wins, fans tune in for a variety of reasons. They were given another reason to stick around during the creator’s December 8 livestream, as Winn outplayed a trio of enemies in mind-blowing fashion. Aceu pulls off crazy 1v3 – and leaves game immediately after Pinned down on a platform, Aceu found himself in an especially tight spot when a trio of enemies ziplined towards him. However, after tagging the opponents, Aceu looked to reposition and retreat, telling the trio they “sucked” in the process. Giving the Apex star the chance to heal up was the team’s big mistake. Re-energized and revitalized, he quickly set about taking them down one by one, using the R-99, Wingman, and even an Octane jump pad to devastating effect. Fans were even more baffled when, after eliminating the trio and joking that “there’s no way”, Aceu left the match and returned to Apex’s home screen. Such a casual ending to such a crazy moment had viewers scratching their heads, especially as any standard player would generally stick around and try to secure a win after such an impressive play. The clip and the nonchalance with which it happened reiterate why Aceu is one of the best Apex players in the world, and why so many viewers tune in to see him bamboozle opponents.

  • Aceu thinks Mad Maggie is “not good for the game” in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Aceu thinks Mad Maggie is “not good for the game” in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: aceuAfter watching the Defiance gameplay trailer, Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn revealed that he “hates” Mad Maggie and doesn’t think she’s “good for the game”. After months of speculation, Respawn has finally revealed all of the content coming with Apex Legends Season 12. With the new 9v9 Control Mode, huge Olympus map changes, and a host of free rewards to celebrate the game’s anniversary, Defiance is set up to be a season to remember. However, despite all of these exciting additions, the most significant arrival is definitely that of the new Legend, Mad Maggie. Equipped with a fire drill Tactical and a giant wrecking ball, the majority of players are desperate to jump into the Outlands as the Rebel Warlord. Unfortunately, Apex Legends streamer aceu is less impressed and has already revealed that he “hates” Mad Maggie. Aceu “hates” Season 12 Legend Mad Maggie On February 1, aceu decided to watch the Apex Legends Defiance gameplay trailer on stream and express his opinion on the new Legend Mad Maggie. As soon as she made an appearance on screen, aceu revealed that he “hates” the character, and believes that her Riot Drill Tactical is “not good for the game”. Its obvious aceu thinks that the devs should stick to making Legends that don’t have a damage Tactical, especially one that can be fired through a wall to force enemies out of cover. Not only that, he picked up on the fact that Maggie is another Legend with an x-ray Passive, an element of her kit that he believes is “not good” or fun to play against. While aceu hasn’t tried out Mad Maggie’s kit in-game just yet, it’s clear he’s not impressed with her abilities and thinks they will have a negative impact on the game. Either way, we’ll have to wait and see if she establishes herself as a meta pick in the long term. All new characters at popular at the start, but not all of them manage to hold onto their popularity, especially if they receive nerfs shortly after their release.

  • Aceu urges Apex Legends devs to remove “braindead” tap-strafing – Dexerto

Aceu urges Apex Legends devs to remove “braindead” tap-strafing Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn thinks “braindead” tap-strafing should be removed as it makes movement too “easy”. Movement is a sacred aspect of Apex Legends and one of the most beloved elements of Respawn’s battle royale. Not only is sliding and running around the Outlands fun, but the game includes advanced mechanics that players can learn to enhance their mobility skills. One of which is tap-strafing, a technique that allows you to pull off sharper movements and harder turns, making you significantly harder to shoot. While Respawn announced their plans to remove tap-strafing back in September of 2021, they quickly reversed their decision. Well, according to aceu, the devs need to reconsider the choice and take the”braindead” mechanic out of the game. Aceu explains why tap-strafing should be removed from Apex During a recent stream, aceu decided to share his “hot take” that tap-strafing needs to be removed from Apex Legends. According to him, the “braindead” technique makes movement too “easy” and it was a lot better before players started using the mechanic. As aceu is such a talented player who utilizes tap-strafing to outplay opponents, it’s surprising to see him calling for it to be patched out. However, with the severe backlash Respawn received by considering its removal back in 2021, it seems unlikely they’d decide to take the risk again. Topic starts at 0:12 On top of tap-strafing, aceu also revealed that he believes recoil smoothing should be removed from Apex. This is a trick that involves walking sideways while aiming which significantly reduces the kickback on a weapon, making it easy to land shots. Overall, it’s obvious aceu feels as if the game is becoming too easy and the skill is being diluted by these advanced mechanics. However, it’s safe to say a lot of players would disagree and enjoy incorporating them into their gameplay.

  • Aceu’s 1v6 clutch could be Apex Legends Season 11’s best play – Dexerto

Aceu’s 1v6 clutch could be Apex Legends Season 11’s best play NRG / RespawnNRG streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn produced a jaw-dropping play to secure the win in his Apex Legends match, clutching up in a 1v6 scenario with impressive speed, skill and accuracy. Aceu is one of the Apex Legends community’s biggest names. A former professional player in both Apex and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, he is currently signed as a streamer to well-known esports organization NRG. While viewers among his 2 million followers are more than accustomed to his fast-paced, top-tier gameplay – and occasionally uncompromising commentaries – there weren’t many who were expecting him to pull off what he managed during a December 5 live stream. Entering the final round with a couple of enemy squads left, ace was positioned just outside a small bunker on Apex’s new map, Storm Point. He quickly engaged one of the remaining Trios, taking all members out with some incredibly accurate Alternator shots and some clever movement around the bunker’s pillars. However, just after taking the penultimate team out, ace found himself engaged by the remaining trio, all of whom were closing in for the final kill. Swapping between the Alternator and Wingman with impressive precision, ace also used a Rampart Amped Cover shield and an enemy’s death box to stay alive and regularly boost his dwindling health. That, paired with some incredible Wingman accuracy, was enough to see off the final team and secure the win. You can watch the full clip below: Despite the quality of gameplay his audience is used to seeing, they weren’t quite prepared for the incredible clutch and many went on to spam their disbelief. It’s up there with the best Apex Legends plays we’ve seen, and cements aceu as one of the game’s best creators to follow.

  • Aceu reveals why he quit competing in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu reveals why he quit competing in Apex Legends NRGNRG’s Brandon ‘Aceu’ Winn opened up about why he quit his Apex Legends pro career, revealing the disconnect he felt with the game as the competitive scene started to develop. At the height of Aceu’s time in NRG’s Apex Legends squad, he played alongside Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows and the two were highlight reel machines in almost every game they played. The team wasn’t only dominant individually, but the players were starting to gain a lot of traction on Twitch and social media, making them huge names early in Apex Legends esports. But the squad wouldn’t stay together for long: Dizzy had retired in late 2019, while Aceu stepped back from the pro scene soon after. Timestamp at 14:00 for mobile viewers At the time, there was a bunch of speculation for why Aceu quit, since his personal Twitch channel was booming, but he’s now opened up more about the saga that finally saw him retiring. “At the beginning, it was just kill-races. It wasn’t actual competitive [matches.]” Aceu said. “I’ve never played battle royales competitively, so I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. Then competitive started forming, and I started seeing what a competitive battle royale is, and that completely pushed me away.” The streamer explained how quick he was to accept NRG’s offer to join the Apex team alongside close friend Dizzy. After getting dropped from his CS:GO team in early 2019, he made the switch to make ends meet. However, he explained that the change in Apex esports “definitely made me dislike the game and what I was doing at the time in it. So I was mentally checked out for a long time.” But more tournaments started piling on and he couldn’t simply leave the NRG team. Aceu says he felt stuck; he didn’t want to leave an org like NRG but wasn’t enjoying competitive Apex Legends. Eventually, in early April 2020, NRG and Aceu agreed to move him from the competitive roster to being a content creator, ending his career as an Apex Legends pro.

  • Aceu roasts “ugly” Wraith Prestige skin in Apex Legends after spending $160 on it – Dexerto

Aceu roasts “ugly” Wraith Prestige skin in Apex Legends after spending $160 on it Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has roasted the “ugly” mythic Wraith Prestige skin after spending over $160 to unlock it. Apex Legends’ Wintertide Collection Event kicked off on December 6 as Respawn added the Winter Express LTM, countless incredible cosmetics, and a set of new badge challenges for players to unlock. Despite these exciting new features, it’s the new Apex Voidshifter Wraith Prestige skin that’s getting most of the attention. The mythic cosmetic can be transformed into 3 different tiers that completely change its appearance, and it even comes with a unique finisher. However, not everyone is impressed with how the skin looks in-game, with aceu roasting the “ugly” Prestige cosmetic after dropping $160 to unlock it. Aceu hates Wraith’s “ugly” Prestige skin in Apex Legends During his December 6 stream, aceu decided to spend $160 on event packs to unlock Apex’s Voidshifter Wraith. After obtaining the mythic cosmetic, he wasn’t particularly impressed with the tier 1 version of the skin, asking his chat whether he “has to use this, unironically?” While queueing up for a match in the lobby screen, he couldn’t help but laugh at how “goofy” Wraith looked and it was obvious he wasn’t looking forward to using the cosmetic. Describing the tier 1 option as “ugly”, we can only hope tier 2 and tier 3 impress aceu a little more once he completes the challenges to unlock them. Either way, while aceu isn’t overly impressed with Respawn’s design for the Prestige skin, the majority of the community seems to love the new mythic cosmetic. However, as with every Collection Event, the ongoing debate over whether the devs charge too much for Heirlooms is a topic being discussed by players.

  • Aceu shares best Ranked tips for reaching Diamond in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu shares best Ranked tips for reaching Diamond in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: aceuApex Legends NRG streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has shared some tips for players looking to increase their rank and reach Diamond. As with most battle royales, Apex Legends is a competitive game at its heart with the majority of players looking to pick up the victory in every match they play. For those who want to test themselves even further, Ranked offers the community a chance to compete against opponents of a similar level and ascend through the various tiers. While this can be incredibly fun, it can also cause a lot of frustration if you get stuck at the same rank for a long time, so players are always looking for tips from top pros and streamers. Luckily, Apex Twitch personality aceu took the time on a recent stream to share his best Ranked tips for reaching Diamond, and he even recommended a specific Legend to play. Aceu’s top tips for climbing in Apex Legends Ranked After being asked about how to reach Diamond on his February 18 stream, aceu decided to take the time to share a few simple tips for players to follow. Beginning with team size, he recommends that anyone looking to climb in Ranked plays in a three-stack so communication is always perfect, making it easy to navigate skirmishes and formulate the best strategy. Next, he advises that Ranked players should pick a Recon character and scan a beacon so they can be in the best position before the ring closes. Out of all the Recon Legends, aceu suggests picking Bloodhound as they’re the strongest in the current meta. Finally, focus on surviving and securing KP rather than rushing into every gunfight, this will ensure you gain RP each match and rank up over time. So, next time you jump into Ranked, give these tricks a go and see if it improves your win rate overall. As with any BR title, it’s impossible to win every single match, so it’s important to be consistent and survive for as long as possible. It may also be worth sharpening up your gun skills in the Firing Range, 30 minutes of practice before any Ranked session can be a huge difference-maker.

  • Aceu shocks viewers with insane Apex Legends 1v3 that should be impossible – Dexerto

Aceu shocks viewers with insane Apex Legends 1v3 that should be impossible Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn stunned his viewers with a mind-blowing 1v3 aggressive outplay that shouldn’t have been possible to win. When it comes to clutches, outplays, and jaw-dropping clips, there are very few Apex Legends players that can contend with aceu. The talented streamer has been dominating the Outlands since the game’s release and continues to showcase his impressive skills in Season 15. As he queues solo in Trios matches, it opens up a lot of opportunities for impressive highlight reel moments. Well, aceu added another one to his long list on a recent stream with a hyper-aggressive 1v3 outplay that he won with just a minuscule amount of health remaining. Aceu clutches aggressive Apex Legends 1v3 skirmish for the win In the final stages of the match, aceu was left to battle it out with one other squad of three opponents. Armed with a Peacekeeper and a Wingman, his chat already knew an impressive outplay was on the cards. Leaving him no time to think, an enemy Wraith rushed his position and despite missing a lot of shots, aceu managed to down the opponent and narrowly escape the damage from a well-aimed grenade. Throwing down a heat shield, the streamer rejuvenated all his health just in time before preparing for an aggressive push. Diving down onto his opponents from above, aceu instantly one-hit a foe with a headshot from the PK and dispatched another with some well-placed Wingman shots. The final opponent proved to be a little more tricky, with aceu having to use quick movement and a clutch wall climb to come out on top. After securing the victory, aceu admitted that he was a little “spooked” for a second when battling the last enemy in the squad. Either way, the skirmish made for a brilliant clip and showcased why aceu is such a talented player in clutch scenarios where the pressure is at its highest.

  • Aceu shows best way to master recoil in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu shows best way to master recoil in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has revealed the best way to practice and master recoil control in Apex Legends. While Apex Legends has a diverse selection of characters each equipped with powerful abilities that can change the outcome of a match, gunskill will always be the most important factor for securing victories. As a result, mastering the recoil patterns of the strongest weapons in the Outlands is essential if you want to maximize the amount of damage you can output on an opponent. Of course, this is easier said than done, and a lot of players are left confused when it comes to effectively practicing their aim in the Firing Range. Well, popular Apex streamer aceu has shared some tips when it comes to mastering recoil patterns and it may just help you finally achieve a pinpoint aim. Aceu shares best way to practice aim in Firing Range During his June 14 stream, aceu was asked how to effectively master recoil control in the Firing Range by one of his viewers. In response, the streamer revealed that it’s usually not a good idea to practice your gunskills with all the attachments equipped on a weapon. Read More: Aceu changes stance on “pointless” Seer & claims he’s better than Bloodhound in Apex Legends – Instead, he recommends that if you “truly want to learn the recoil just don’t use a barrel” as that way you’ll be exposed to a weapon’s raw kickback. This in turn will make it extremely easy for you to control the recoil when your gun is filled kitted out, and it’ll also improve your likelihood of winning early game duels. For the majority of a match, it’s unlikely that you’ll be holding a fully kitted-out gun with every single top-tier attachment. Not only that, if you’re hot dropping, the majority of gunfights are going to occur at the start of a match when you just have a base weapon, so familiarizing yourself with the raw recoil of a gun is incredibly important. Read More: Apex Legends players think they’ve spotted unreleased Legend in Stories from the Outlands – Keep in mind, that some weapons are harder to use than others, so if you really struggle to control kickback, it may be worth using the R-301 or the Flatline instead of the Havoc and R-99. Ultimately, improving your accuracy all comes down to practice, but aceu’s tip is bound to help you reach your goal quicker if you’re putting in the hours inside the Firing Range.

  • Aceu reveals most “busted” weapon for dominating Broken Moon in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu reveals most “busted” weapon for dominating Broken Moon in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has revealed the most “busted” weapon for racking up kills and damage on Broken Moon. Choosing a weapon to use in Apex Legends can be extremely difficult, especially when there are so many top-tier options available to craft and pick up. This decision has only got harder with Broken Moon arriving in Season 15, as it’s a significantly faster-paced map than the likes of Storm Point and World’s Edge. While you could just wing it every match or experiment on your own in the Firing Range, sometimes it’s easier to let an expert do the thinking for you. Luckily, during a recent stream, aceu outlined which “busted” weapon you should be using in Eclipse to dominate your opponents on Broken Moon. Aceu reveals best gun to use on Broken Moon in Apex Legends During a recent aceu was discussing the best weapons to use on Broken Moon and for him, the G7 Scout is a top-tier option that completely overshadows the Wingman. Describing the gun as “busted”, aceu thinks the Scout is “crazy” on Broken Moon as there are so many wide open spaces to land clean headshots. With the rifle dealing 54 damage to the head and having an unbelievably fast fire rate, it’s easy to wipe out enemies in seconds. As it can chip away at enemies at long-range as well, it’s perfect for racking up damage if you’re looking to secure that sought-after 4k badge. Topic starts at 0:08 If that wasn’t enough, the Scout with the Double Tap hop-up actually got buffed in Season 15, with Respawn reducing the recoil. Before the major patch, the second bullet almost always missed, but now it’s very simple to land all your shots on target if you master the kickback. So, if you’re looking for a lethal weapon to use on Broken Moon, follow in the footsteps of aceu and use the Scout.

  • Aceu reveals underrated Wingman optic in Apex Legends to hit your shots – Dexerto

Aceu reveals underrated Wingman optic in Apex Legends to hit your shots Respawn Entertainment/aceuApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn revealed which optic is best for consistently landing shots with the Wingman. Although Apex Legends has countless weapons for players to choose from during their matches, there’s one that stands out from the crowd when it comes to creating highlight-reel plays, and that’s the Wingman. With an incredibly high skill cap and absolutely lethal damage, the heavy ammo pistol has become an iconic gun within the community. However, not everyone has the pinpoint accuracy to make the Wingman effective, with a lot of players preferring to pick up the more forgiving full auto ARs and SMGs. Luckily, skilled Wingman user aceu decided to discuss the best optics for the heavy pistol on stream, and it may just help you land more shots with the weapon. Aceu reveals best “meta” Wingman optic During his March 22 stream, one of aceu’s viewers brought up the topic of Wingman optics and the streamer decided to discuss which sights he thinks are “meta” on the heavy pistol. To the surprise of a lot of his community, aceu revealed that he thinks the “2x is better than the 1x”. While he did concede that the 2x is difficult to use against a strafing opponent at close-range, he thinks the optic is a “universal” choice that is effective in the majority of gunfights. As the Wingman is usually a mid to long-range gun, it’s likely a secondary AR or SMG can deal with any opponents at close-quarters, making the 2x a more reliable optic. Keep in mind, although aceu likes the 2x sight, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be the perfect choice for everyone. Optics all comes down to personal preference, so jump into the Firing Range and see which one best fits your playstyle. However, if you’re struggling to land your shots with the 1x or variable, consider testing out the 2x to see if it improves your accuracy.

  • Aceu mind blown after being killed by Apex Legends cheater using “dual-wield aimbot” – Dexerto

Aceu mind blown after being killed by Apex Legends cheater using “dual-wield aimbot” RespawnPopular Apex Legends player and streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn was left stunned after falling to the hands of a cheater using an overpowered dual-wield aimbot. The Apex Legends community is no stranger to hacks and exploits. That remains the case in to February 2022 when a brand-new Apex Legends hack surfaced, as an influx of cheaters found a way to dual-wield any weapons in-game. Despite Apex Legends having no functionality for dual-wielding, hackers have still managed to manipulate the game to allow them to wield two weapons at once. Furthermore, when pairing it with an aimbot hack, it’s unstoppable in lobbies. Now, even the biggest names in the popular battle royale are facing the issue, including Aceu – who was left absolutely speechless after coming across a dual-wielding aimbot cheater. During his March 5 broadcast, Aceu’s teammate was suddenly obliterated by what could only be a cheater. Upon realizing that their opponent was also dual-wielding weapons, the team tried their hardest to eliminate the player. Despite their best efforts, the streamer’s squad was ultimately decimated, leaving the popular pro player lost for words. “Mans got the Akimbo, he’s got the Devo and Wingman right there,” said Aceu. “Look at this dude, look at this dude I can’t wait to see it, this sh*t looks so funny. This sh*t is so goofy. This is gold, I’m trying to be like this dude.” Out of nowhere, the cheater then began switching between weapons and spawning in new ones: “Oh we’ve got the akimbo Wingman! This is sick,” Aceu added. “He’s got the whole arsenal!” The pro player continued by sending a message to Respawn developer Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford, and after a few more minutes of causing chaos, the cheater was thankfully banned from the game. Players will be worried, though, as dual-wielding hackers grow more common. Here’s hoping we don’t see many more clips like this.

  • Aceu mocks accusations of cheating for better movement in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu mocks accusations of cheating for better movement in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has responded to accusations of scripting and cheating. While there are countless streamers and content creators in the Apex Legends community, aceu is certainly one of the most well-known and popular. Whether it’s his unbelievable accuracy, unmatched zipline mechanics, or impressive in-game movement, it’s safe to say his gameplay never fails to impress. However, all of these highlight-reel plays have led to suspicion from some members of the community who believe aceu cannot be relying on talent alone. Well, aceu finally responded to these accusations of cheating in a recent stream and he certainly delivered a strong message to any doubters. Aceu responds to cheating & scripting accusations While reading his Twitch chat during a recent stream, aceu noticed one of his viewers accusing him of using a “power glide script” to enhance his movement and cheat. In response, aceu called out the player for “coping so f***ing hard” instead of attempting to improve his skill or learn any advanced movement mechanics. He also mockingly pointed out to the accuser that “just because you’re bad, doesn’t mean everyone else is bad”. While aceu took the time to respond to the cheating accusation, it was clear he didn’t take it seriously and just wanted to shut the viewer down. Regular accusations of cheating and using scripts are commonplace for FPS content creators who are talented at their chosen game. It’s obvious aceu is used to dealing with this type of comment and doesn’t let it affect his stream. However, this time at least, he decided not to ignore it and did give the accuser a light roast before moving on.

  • Aceu praises Apex Legends Ranked after criticizing Season 13 changes – Dexerto

Aceu praises Apex Legends Ranked after criticizing Season 13 changes Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer and former pro player Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has reversed his stance on the battle royale’s recent Ranked changes, describing them as beneficial and lauding Respawn for introducing demotions. Despite large portions of the community asking for Ranked changes, the Ranked Reloaded overhaul was surprisingly controversial when it dropped with Season 13. The system rework brought demotion, a new Rookie tier, and improvements to the way RP is rewarded. However, early reactions were mixed. ImperialHal was among the players to praise it, but others – like aceu – argued that it encouraged slower playstyles and camping to stay alive into late-game scenarios. However, Winn has now altered his stance, and praised Respawn for the Ranked Reloaded changes. While looking over the Ranked category breakdowns, aceu noticed how much more balanced player numbers are across the board. Previously, because of the absence of demotions, plenty of players found their way into a high Rank (Gold/Platinum) only to get stuck in IV because they could not get relegated. “This is how you know something was finally done right,” he said. “Dude look how stupid this [old system] looks… 4% [of players] were in Master. This is what happens when you don’t have demotions. That’s why all these people that were here are all here now. This is so fire.” He finished: “Yeah 4% of people were in the top rank, isn’t that so dumb? I’m so happy bro.” In short, the changes have ensured players must maintain their rank through playing well, rather than because they simply cannot fall back down the rankings. As a result, fewer players populate the higher Ranks like Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, but it more accurately reflects their skill level. With aceu changing stance and praising the change, it looks set to stick around for the long haul in Apex Legends.

  • Aceu reveals how many times he’s been reported as a cheater in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu reveals how many times he’s been reported as a cheater in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has revealed how many times his account has been reported, and it’s an unbelievably high number. Like any competitive shooter, Apex Legends suffers from its fair share of cheaters, hackers, and exploiters. Whether it’s the use of aimbots, DDoSing servers, or even equipping akimbo weapons to take down players in an instant, Respawn is constantly banning accounts for the use of third-party software. On the other side of the spectrum, there are also a lot of highly-skilled players that are falsely reported after an opponent suspects they’re cheating, and no one has experienced this more than aceu. Pulling off mind-blowing Wingman shots nearly every single match, it’s safe to say a few of the enemies he’s killed over the years have been a little suspicious. So, after speaking to a Respawn dev, aceu finally decided to reveal how many players had reported his account. Aceu has been reported 721 times in Apex Legends During his March 9 stream while warming up in the Firing Range, aceu decided to share with his viewers how many times his account had been reported. After speaking to Respawn’s Security Analyst Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford, the streamer was able to find out exactly how many times he’d been accused of cheating by his opponents. In total, aceu’s account has been reported a whopping 721 times, so it’s safe a lot of enemies on the receiving end of his shots thought he was using third-party software. Although some Apex personalities may have found it concerning, aceu made it clear he was proud of the achievement and even joked about hitting 1,000 one day. If aceu continues to dominate in Apex Legends and keep it as his main title while streaming, it’s likely he’ll hit the 1k milestone in no time. Hopefully, he keeps his viewers posted on the report count and checks back with Hideouts in a few months to see how much it has increased.

  • Aceu explains why Pathfinder is a powerful pick in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu explains why Pathfinder is a powerful pick in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has explained why Pathfinder is a strong pick for players who love to push their opponents and take aggressive gunfights. Arriving with the release of Apex Legends back in 2019, Pathfinder is one of the most iconic characters on the roster and his wholesome voice lines make it impossible to dislike him. With a kit that’s centered around mobility and making highlight-reel plays, he’s the perfect Legend for players who are always looking to style on their opponents. However, despite having an 8% pick rate in Season 13, Pathfinder is rarely considered a meta choice for a squad and is often labeled as more of a fun Legend, rather than one that’s picked to secure victories. Well, popular Apex streamer aceu has revealed that he believes Pathfinder is the best “pushing” Legend in the game, making him ideal for aggressive players. Aceu thinks Pathfinder is perfect for aggressive players During aceu’s May 26 stream, one of his viewers asked for his opinion on Pathfinder and it’s safe to say the response took a lot of his fans by surprise. Labeling the Forward Scout as the “best pushing Legend in the game”, it’s clear aceu believes Pathfinder excels when he’s on the front foot and being used by an aggressive player. Aceu backed up his opinion by claiming that “no one can cover ground like Pathfinder”, with Octane being his only true competition. The streamer even proved it by launching himself across the entire Firing Range in a matter of seconds with the grapple, showcasing how strong Pathfinder can be if you master his Tactical. Unlike a lot of Legends on the roster, it’s incredibly easy to make a mistake with Pathfinder and get you and your squad killed. However, if you’re willing to put in the hours and learn the intricacies of his grapple, it’s definitely time well spent as the Forward Scout can be a force to be reckoned with in the right player’s hands.

  • Aceu explains why Seer is a pointless pick in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu explains why Seer is a pointless pick in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has explained why it’s pointless to pick Seer when you could play Bloodhound instead. When it comes to assembling a meta squad of Legends in Apex, one of the most essential requirements is the ability to scan enemies to identify their exact location. This allows teams to position correctly, defend an opposing push, or track down a fleeing opponent to secure a kill. Of course, there are quite a few Legends that can reveal enemies with their abilities, but Seer and Bloodhound are often the go-to picks for a lot of players. Well, Apex streamer aceu has explained why it’s always better to choose Bloodhound over Seer, and why the Ambush Artist cannot compete in the current meta. Aceu explains why Seer is weaker than Bloodhound During his June 2 stream, one of aceu’s viewers asked for his opinion on Seer, specifically in comparison to Bloodhound and the scan meta overall. In response, he described Seer as “mid” and explained that the Ambush Artist is only good for “third-partying”, a strength aceu has praised him for in the past. When picking between Bloodhound and Seer, aceu made it extremely clear that he’d always go for the Technological Tracker, even going as far to say he’d rather have a “controller Bloodhound” than a Seer. According to him, this is because Bloodhound can gain information on an enemy’s position and then use their Ultimate to push, whereas Seer has no abilities that allow him to play aggressively. It’s no surprise aceu thinks Bloodhound is a stronger Legend than Seer as that appears to be the general consensus in the community. However, his comments on Seer’s third-party strength do demonstrate where the Ambush Master can thrive if a player is willing to lean into that playstyle and catch other squads off-guard.

  • Aceu finds crazy Apex Legends Rampart trick that creates flying minigun – Dexerto

Aceu finds crazy Apex Legends Rampart trick that creates flying minigun Respawn Entertainment / NRGRampart is still relatively new in the Apex Legends world, and popular streamer Brandon ‘Aceu’ Winn has found an insane trick that makes her minigun ultimate more powerful than ever. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] Rampart’s Emplaced Minigun, more commonly referred to as Sheila, lets her place a mounted machine gun for the team. Once it’s on the ground anybody can use it, with a huge magazine to rain down on enemies. The turret is clearly a powerful one, and perfect if you’re in an enclosed area where you can be accurate while remaining protected, but is fairly well balanced as far as Legends’ ultimates go. That said, there’s always going to be new ways to use characters’ abilities even better — and Aceu might have just come up with the most broken exploit to destroy his enemies as Rampart. Rampart exploit in Apex Legends While Aceu has been playing Valorant much more since its release, with his Apex streams taking a backseat, he decided to return to Respawn’s battle royale for the launch of Season 7, and clearly had a lot of fun. No moment was more fun, though, than when he discovered this crazy trick to make Sheila super powerful, flying it about the map like an attack helicopter, getting right up in enemies’ faces. In the clip below, you can see that Aceu has mounted Rampart’s minigun atop his teammate’s Crypto drone, flying it around while he sprays at any enemies that dare cross his path, making these two Legends arguably one of the most lethal duos in the Apex Games. This isn’t exactly a common sight in Apex Legends, so you can only imagine the enemy’s confusion when they see Rampart flying at them and the sound of Sheila spraying at them. How does it work? There’s not really any real knack to doing this trick: you just have to get your angles right. As you can see in the following clip, Aceu’s teammate simply spawns his drone in, and Ace manages to plant Sheila somewhat in the middle of it before climbing aboard and getting going. This trick is not as easy as simply mounting the drone and getting going — it obviously leaves Crypto in quite a difficult position, and may require a teammate to keep them protected and out of harm’s way while Rampart has her fun.

  • Aceu furious after dying to door crush glitch in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu furious after dying to door crush glitch in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn was left furious after he was instantly eliminated from a match by the infamous door glitch. As with any battle royale, Apex Legends has its fair share of bugs that can cause a lot of frustration for the community, especially when they affect players at key moments in a match. Whether it’s getting stuck inside a Crafting Station, accidentally glitching inside terrain, or just falling through the map, these issues do pop up on rare occasions. Strangely, one of the most unpredictable and frustrating bugs in Apex occurs with the doors scattered around each of the maps, as they’ve garnered a reputation for instantly killing players. Well, during a recent stream, aceu was instantly one-shot by a door and it’s safe to say wasn’t pleased that he’d been eliminated from the match early. Aceu one-shot by door glitch in Apex Legends During his June 7 stream, aceu had just taken down an opposing squad on Storm Point and the Loba he’d eliminated died next to a set of double doors. While accessing her deathbox, seemingly out of the blue, aceu was hit with the infamous door glitch, immediately eliminating him from the match. Realizing what just happened, he began to shout out in rage, revealing to his teammates that he’d just been hit with an extremely rare bug. “Ahhhh! I hate this game bro, everything about this damn game is just made to piss me off bro, I can’t f***ing stand this game.” While this glitch has been in the game since the release of Apex back in 2019, it’s unlikely Respawn is ever going to prioritize a fix as it’s extremely rare. So, although you may not have to worry about being one-shot by a Kraber in the late game anymore, a set of doors are more than capable of instantly eliminating you from a match.

  • Aceu jokes about going pro in Apex Legends to bring back self-res – Dexerto

Aceu jokes about going pro in Apex Legends to bring back self-res Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: aceuFormer Apex Legends pro player Aceu retired in 2020; however, he jokingly considered coming back to fight for self revives. Aceu consistently tops the charts as one of the most-watched Apex Legends Twitch streamers. Aceu dominated and finished top three in eight out of nine total events in his one-year Apex pro career. It seems unlikely the streamer would return to the pro scene after establishing himself as a premier name. Still, he jokingly reconsidered if it meant bringing back self-revives in Apex. Aceu demands self-revive revert Respawn Entertainment controversially removed self-revives with Gold Knockdown in Season 14. Numerous Apex pros and streamers initially called for Gold Knockdown Shields removal for being overpowered. Gold Knockdown Shields blocked 750 damage for downed players and had a self-revive passive ability. Shields deploy once a player is down, making it an arduous task for players to eliminate someone with the legendary equipment item. Players believed the equipment gave players an unfair advantage and didn’t belong in a competitive game mode. The developers listened to the community feedback and removed it from the game. Aceu mocked the decision by saying, “They got rid of self-res because the pro players were complaining.” Aceu’s duo partner asked him to go pro and complain until they added self-revives back. Receptive to the idea, the streamer responded, “I should go pro and make them bring back self-res and then be the champion of the people.” Although highly unlikely, it would be hilarious if Aceu went pro again just to bring back self-revives and then re-enter retirement.

  • Aceu concerned for Apex Legends Season 15 map after exploring “lifeless” teaser – Dexerto

Aceu concerned for Apex Legends Season 15 map after exploring “lifeless” teaser Respawn EntertainmentAfter exploring the Apex Legends ‘A New Home’ teaser, popular streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn described the new map as “lifeless”. Season 15 of Apex Legends is scheduled to arrive on November 1 and it’s bringing a huge amount of new content to the Outlands. One of the biggest features is, of course, the new map and while Respawn hasn’t revealed the full location, players can explore a small portion of it with a Golden Ticket in the ‘A New Home’ teaser. This brief in-game event involves players getting into a dropship and then taking a small tour around one of the new map’s POIs. Well, after checking out the map, aceu wasn’t particularly impressed, describing it as “lifeless” and lacking “color”. Aceu thinks new Apex Legends map lacks “personality” During a recent stream, aceu decided to check out the ‘A New Home’ teaser and he shared his thoughts on the new map. After touring the POI, the popular streamer revealed that he thought that section of the map looked “lifeless”. For him, the area didn’t have a lot of “personality” or “color”, but he did admit that certain aspects were “cool”. One positive he pointed out was that the area looked flat, and for him, that’s a “very good thing” as he prefers it over the huge amount of verticality that can be seen on Storm Point. While aceu wasn’t exactly impressed, he did let his viewers know that it’s impossible to judge the map just yet as we’ve only seen one POI. Other areas of the map could be completely different, so it’s obvious he’s got faith that Respawn can deliver in Season 15. However, when it comes to first impressions, it’s clear aceu wasn’t blown away, so let’s hope the final product is enough to pique his interest.

  • Aceu criticizes new Ranked system in Apex Legends: “It’s just boring” – Dexerto

Aceu criticizes new Ranked system in Apex Legends: “It’s just boring” Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has slammed the new Ranked Reloaded changes as “boring”. For countless seasons, pros and players alike were calling on Respawn to make drastic changes to Ranked in the hopes of making it more competitive. Well, the devs did exactly that in Season 13, introducing the Ranked Reloaded rework which added demotion, a new Rookie tier, and improvements to the way RP is rewarded. Although this has forced players to make matches more seriously, it has meant that more squads are camping to the late game and avoiding fights. As a result, a lot of the community has blamed the changes for making Ranked “boring”, and one of them is aceu. Aceu thinks Ranked is “boring” in Apex Legends Season 13 While Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen has praised the new Ranked system, aceu disagrees with the CEO and has labeled the Season 13 Ranked as “boring”. According to him, although the changes appeared to be positive at first, the rework has encouraged players to “AFK until late game” in the hopes of securing as much RP as possible. This is likely due to the addition of demotion which has forced competitors to take Ranked matches a lot more seriously, or they risk being moved down to lower tiers. As a result, aceu has noticed the majority of matches boil down to “15 to 18 minutes” of running around, and then “two minutes” of action. Aceu isn’t the only one to have called out Respawn for the significant Ranked changes, with a lot of the community complaining that the rework has damaged the experience for solo players. As the update has only recently been added, it’s unlikely the devs are going to make any changes to the competitive mode any time soon. However, with such a huge divide among Apex players, it’s going to be difficult for Respawn to please everyone no matter what they implement.

  • Aceu explains why Apex Legends Ranked is pointless later in the season – Dexerto

Aceu explains why Apex Legends Ranked is pointless later in the season Twitch: Aceu/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has explained why he thinks Ranked is pointless this late into the season. In the majority of competitive shooters, players have the option to queue for Ranked matches that aim to pit them against opponents of a similar level, and Apex Legends is no different. Although this system appears to be simple at a glance, it’s actually incredibly complex and has received a lot of criticism in recent seasons. Whether it’s the poor matchmaking, lack of demotion or even the rampant cheating, pros and players alike have called on Respawn to conduct a Ranked overhaul. Now, aceu has added to the conversation by revealing that he thinks Ranked is pointless later on in the season as everyone is just looking to “inflate their elo”. Aceu doesn’t think mid-season Ranked is worth playing During his March 16 stream, aceu was asked by a viewer what he thinks of Ranked this season, and the streamer gave an answer a lot of his community were not expecting. First of all, he expressed that in his opinion, Ranked isn’t worth playing after the first “four days” of the split as all of the good players have stopped competing. As a result, he thinks that standard matches are harder than Ranked this late into the season, as anyone still playing is just trying to “inflate their elo”. “It’s harder to PUB stomp than it is to go and kill three like Plat and Diamond stacked gamers,” he said. “The first like four days of Ranked is the only like worthwhile time to play Ranked.” With pros, streamers, and players alike all pointing out the flaws with Ranked in recent seasons, it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn decides to overhaul the mode in the near future. However, as it’s not as popular as standard matches and doesn’t affect the casual playerbase, it may not be in the dev’s interest to invest any time into significant improvements.

  • Aceu explains why he quit Apex Legends for Valorant – Dexerto

Aceu explains why he quit Apex Legends for Valorant Respawn Entertainment/AceuAfter taking a long break from Apex Legends, Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn explained why he quit the game and decided to play Valorant instead. With over 2.7 million followers on Twitch and just under 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube, aceu is one of the biggest personalities in the Apex Legends community. Whether it’s his highlight reel trickshots, impressive zipline movement, or god-like Wraith gameplay, aceu’s Apex content is never boring. However, in late July, the talented FPS player decided to stop playing Respawn’s battle royale and instead, jump into Valorant. At the time, viewers were confused about why he decided to change his main game, but now he’s returned to Apex, and he’s finally revealed why he quit. Aceu explains why he stopped playing Apex Legends After a month and a half of playing primarily Valorant, aceu returned to Apex on August 30 for his first taste of Season 14. However, it was during his September 13 stream two weeks later that he spoke about why he stepped away from Apex for such a long time. Talking about his attitude towards the game, aceu revealed that “sweating” every single match and attempting to play at his best at all times “ruined” Apex for him. While attempting to “impress” his audience, he forgot that you “don’t have to sweat your balls off 24/7”, so it ended up with him not having any fun on Apex. On top of this, the arrival of Kings Canyon into the map rotation in Season 14 was likely another reason for aceu’s long break. He’s made it very clear in the past that he dislikes the map and with him recently describing the state of Ranked as “terrible”, it’s easy to see why he opted to play Valorant. However, it’s great to see aceu back in the Outlands and fingers crossed he doesn’t get burnt out again in the near future.

  • Aceu explains why he’s not playing “dead” Apex Legends Ranked in Season 15 – Dexerto

Aceu explains why he’s not playing “dead” Apex Legends Ranked in Season 15 Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has slammed Apex Legends’ “dead” Ranked mode and revealed he isn’t going to play it in Season 15. While most of the Apex Legends community prefers pubs for a more casual experience, some players want to take the competitive element to the next level. That’s precisely where Ranked comes into play, a mode that aims to pit players of a similar skill level against each other and gives them a chance to climb the ladder by gaining points based on their performance. Unfortunately, Ranked has received a huge amount of criticism over the past few seasons due to poor matchmaking, cheaters, and long queue times for the highest-skilled competitors. Well, these thoughts have been reiterated by aceu in Season 15, who revealed he won’t be playing Ranked until Respawn “fix the system”. Aceu explains why he won’t play Apex Legends Ranked During a recent stream, aceu was asked by his Twitch chat whether he’d be playing Apex Legends Ranked in Season 15. In response, he revealed that there’s no way he’s going to sit in “15-minute queues” just to play a mode filled with “cheaters and DDoSers”. On top of that, aceu highlighted the matchmaking issues that are pitting “slivers. plats, and golds” against 3-stack Pred teams that just dominate the lobby. Describing the mode as “dead”, it’s clear aceu has lost all his patience with Ranked and will be sticking with pubs for the foreseeable future. Despite this, aceu did take the time to mention that if Respawn “fix the system” he will jump back into Ranked again. However, with the Ranked Reloaded overhaul arriving in Season 13, it’s hard to know if the mode is a priority for the devs at the moment. While it’s possible they address some of the problems during the Collection Event or Season 16, players may have to wait until Season 17 or even 18 before any substantial changes are added.

  • Aceu claims Wraith is no longer “meta” in Apex Legends because of new characters – Dexerto

Aceu claims Wraith is no longer “meta” in Apex Legends because of new characters Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has claimed Wraith is no longer “meta” as she’s been overshadowed by newer characters. When it comes to iconic characters in Apex Legends, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more recognizable face than Wraith. The Interdimensional Skirmisher has been a fan favorite on the roster since the game’s release and maintains an impressive 10% pick rate in Season 13, putting her at the top of the list. Despite this, a lot of players feel as if Wraith has fallen from grace since the early days of Apex, primarily due to the delay Respawn added to her Tactical. Well, popular streamer aceu has revealed that he agrees Wraith is no longer “meta”, claiming she’s been pushed to the wayside by new characters. Aceu claims Wraith is no longer “fun” or “meta” In a video for NRG Apex Legends, Lululuvely and aceu came together to create an ultimate tier list for all the characters in the Outlands. Although the entire discussion was interesting, aceu went into detail on why he no longer thinks Wraith is “fun” to play anymore. Beginning with the Tactical, both Lulu and aceu revealed that they’re tired of being killed while using the ability as it takes “5 days” to activate. Not only that, aceu claims that Wraith has been “power creeped” out of the meta by all of the new Legends that are equipped with more useful abilities. Topic Starts at 9:30 Aceu did note that Wraith’s Ultimate is still extremely “useful”, especially when attempting to escape an enemy squad or set up a trap. However, it’s obvious that despite her pick rate, aceu feels as if Wraith is no longer the power pick she used to be, especially with Legends like Caustic and Valkyrie dominating the meta.

  • Aceu claims Wraith is the worst character in Apex Legends “by far” – Dexerto

Aceu claims Wraith is the worst character in Apex Legends “by far” Respawn Entertainment/Twitch: aceuNRG Twitch streamer and former Apex Legends pro player aceu has claimed that Wraith is “by far the worst character” on the Apex roster. Ever since the release of Apex Legends all the way back in 2019, Wraith has been a fan-favorite character in the community, with countless players choosing her as their main. While she isn’t the dominant force she was back in Season 1 & 2, the Interdimensional Skirmisher still has an 11.4% pick rate in Season 10. This makes her the second most popular Legend in the game, just behind Octane. However, although players are still locking in Wraith and dodging bullets in the void, former pro player aceu isn’t convinced she’s a strong pick in the meta. Labeling her the worst character in Apex on stream, he suggested a set of other Legends his viewers should play instead. Aceu labels Wraith as a “terrible” character in Apex Legends During his September 27 stream, aceu was asked by a viewer whether he preferred Octane or Wraith. To the surprise of many, the streamer didn’t hesitate to label the Interdimnesial Skirmisher as the “worst character” in Apex Legends. According to him, Respawn’s set of heavy nerfs in past seasons have made her a shadow of her former self, meaning she’s significantly worse than the other meta characters. One of the nerfs aceu is no doubt referring to is the delay put on her Tactical, meaning she could no longer enter the void immediately. On release, it was an instant effect and made escaping foes incredibly easy. “Wraith is the worst character in this video game, by far the worst character in this video game… they nerfed her into the ground, they f**king put her up, RKO’d her”. Instead of picking Wraith, aceu recommends that players pick Octane as tap strafing is still in the game, making him a top-tier choice. If running at high speed isn’t your idea of fun, aceu suggests manipulating gravity with Horizon and using your lifts to get the upper hand over your enemies. While it’s clear aceu is using hyperbole when describing Wraith as the worst character in the game, it shows how far she’s fallen in his eyes and how much of an impact the nerfs have had on her kit.

  • Aceu claims Apex Legends pubs are ruined and in “the worst state in Apex history” – Dexerto

Aceu claims Apex Legends pubs are ruined and in “the worst state in Apex history” Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘Aceu’ Winn has claimed pubs are in “the worst state in Apex history” and are not worth playing. When it comes to Apex Legends’ battle royale modes, players have the option to queue for pubs (regular matches) or Ranked matches. While Ranked caters to the more competitive side of the community with a leaderboard and tiers, pubs are more of a casual experience, or so they should be. According to a lot of players, the public match experience has deteriorated over the last few seasons with countless highly skilled three stacks taking over and dominating lobbies. Popular streamer aceu agrees with these concerns and has claimed pubs are in “the worst state in Apex history”. Aceu claims pubs are not worth playing Season 13 During a recent stream, aceu expressed his frustration with public matches, claiming the lobbies are filled with Diamond, Master, and Pred three stacks. As a result, he thinks pubs are now “sweatier than Ranked” and not worth playing if you’re a lower-skilled player, as most of the time you’re likely to get “rolled” by other squads in your match. On top of that, he also raised the issue of hot dropping which leads to the whole lobby dying before the second round of the ring, meaning it’s extremely difficult to rack up kills if you don’t follow the herd. Overall, he summarizes the pub’s experience as being in “the worst state in Apex history” and claims he “feels bad” for a lot of casual players. Most of aceu’s concerns come down to the game’s matchmaking which has been a controversial topic in the community for a long time. Following the countless complaints surrounding Ranked Reloaded, it’ll be interesting to see whether Respawn neglects to address the issues with pubs, and instead focuses on fine-tuning their competitive mode. Either way, with Season 14 on the horizon in August, that will be the earliest time that we can expect to see any changes.

  • Aceu claims “busted” R-301 needs nerf in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu claims “busted” R-301 needs nerf in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn thinks the “busted” R-301 is “too good” and deserves to be nerfed. Apex Legends has a massive arsenal of weapons for players to choose from that all thrive in different situations. Whenever any of these guns become too strong or takeover the meta, Respawn has to step in and add some balance changes. Despite this, since the release of Apex, there’s been one AR that’s always been reliable, easy to use, and immensely powerful. We’re of course talking about the R-301. Well, according to aceu, although he absolutely loves the weapon, the R-301 is “too good” and he’s confused why the devs have never nerfed it. Aceu explains why R-301 is too strong in Apex Legends During a recent stream, one of aceu’s viewers asked him what his go-to weapon is in Apex Legends and he revealed that he’s a “301 enjoyer”. Despite loving the AR, aceu did reveal that he thinks the R-301 is “busted” and “too good” compared to the other options available on the ground. With minimal recoil, high damage output, and deadly hip-fire accuracy, the R-301 has very few weaknesses, making it top-tier in nearly every situation. As a result, aceu is confused about how the weapon has been “hard meta” for years, but the “devs still don’t want to nerf it”. As a suggestion to help balance the R-301 and ARs in general, aceu put forward the idea of heavily nerfing hip-fire. This would push players to use SMGs more for close-quarters gunfights, especially when they have a laser-equipped. However, this would be a major change to Apex and likely a nerf a lot of fans would not support. Either way, the R-301 is still destructive in Season 15, so seek it out in your matches if you struggle with recoil.

  • Aceu claims Seer is actually “meta” in Apex Legends for third-partying – Dexerto

Aceu claims Seer is actually “meta” in Apex Legends for third-partying Twitch: Aceu/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has claimed that Seer is a “meta” pick as he’s strong at third-partying opponents. Despite releasing as one of the most powerful characters in Apex Legends, Seer’s popularity has dwindled since Season 10 due to a heavy set of nerfs shortly after his arrival in the Outlands. Now, in Season 12 the Ambush Artist is sitting at a 2.3% pick rate and has garnered a reputation for being an underpowered Legend. While the majority of players have given up with Seer, there are a select few who believe he still has a place in the meta. One of them is aceu, who recently explained on stream why Seer is still a strong pick due to his ability to “third-party” opponents. Aceu explains why Seer is perfect for “third-partying” One of the biggest complaints from Apex players in the current meta is the prevalence of third-party squads swooping in after a gunfight and taking advantage of a weakened team. Well, if you’re looking to lean into this tactic and catch opponents off-guard, aceu suggests locking in Seer as the Ambush Artist has the perfect third-party kit: “I think Seer is good… being able to stop meds and res’s with your Q when your third-parting someone is huge”. With a heartbeat sensor that allows you to track down the exact position of a squad and a Tactical that interrupts consumables from a distance, you can prevent opponents from preparing for a gunfight after they’ve been tagged. Not only that, aceu points out that Seer’s Ultimate is actually perfect for preventing third parties, as it allows you to track the movement of an incoming squad, making it easy to land your shots. So, although Seer isn’t the strongest pick in Apex Legends, it may be worth experimenting with the Ambush Master if you want to expose weakened squads. On top of that, he’s a great Legend for players who always want to know where their opponents are in gunfights, as a lot of the time it can be difficult to track a squad’s movement during an intense skirmish.

  • Aceu claims Volt SMG is a “controller gun” in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu claims Volt SMG is a “controller gun” in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has claimed the Volt SMG is a “controller gun” that doesn’t “hit the same on Mnk”. When it comes to weapons in Apex Legends, SMGs are some of the most popular guns as they shred opponents at close quarters and offer great mobility. While the R-99, Alternator, and Prowler are all powerful options, it’s the Volt that often gets most of the praise from the community. The deadly SMG offers a lethal amount of damage and most importantly, is relatively easy to control. Despite this, popular Apex streamer aceu has described the Volt as a “controller gun” that just doesn’t “hit the same on MnK”. Aceu isn’t a fan of the Volt SMG in Apex Legends During a recent stream, one of aceu’s viewers asked for his opinion on the Volt SMG, a fan-favorite weapon in Apex Legends. In response, he labeled the Volt a “controller gun” that “doesn’t hit the same on MnK” and that’s why he’ll often choose other weapons over it. For him, the Volt feels “awkward” in mid-range gunfights and has “whack” hip fire, so he can’t rely on it to takedown enemies consistently during intense skirmishes. Despite this, aceu did admit that the Volt does “beam” in the right players’ hands, it’s just not his go-to pick. It’s always interesting to hear what pros and content creators think about specific weapons, as they often have the most experience with Apex’s arsenal of guns. At the end of the day, weapon choice all comes down to personal preference and for aceu, the Volt just doesn’t perform as well as other options for him on MnK.

  • Aceu breaks down all characters that need buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu breaks down all characters that need buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has revealed all the characters on the roster that he thinks need buffs & nerfs. Characters buffs and nerfs in Apex Legends have always been a heavily debated topic within the community, with players constantly making suggestions to the devs on what changes to make. While Respawn does listen to the feedback, it’s very rare that they make drastic changes to a Legend’s kit without careful consideration and a lot of planning. This doesn’t stop players and streamers from voicing their opinions on the matter though, and popular Apex personality aceu took the time to do exactly that on Twitch. Going through every single Legend on the roster, aceu outlined which characters need reworks, buffs, and nerfs. Aceu reveals which Legends need buffs & nerfs Aceu starts off by calling for a Bloodhound nerf, a Gibraltar nerf, a Caustic nerf, a Mirage buff, and of course, a Lifeline rework. All of these requests align with a lot of the opinions shared by the community, especially major changes for the Combat Medic which Respawn has revealed will not be coming in Season 13. His opinion on Bangalore and Wattson is definitely different from a lot of Apex players though, with aceu calling for the Professional Soldier to receive no changes and revealing that he thinks the Static Defender is in a “good spot”. Next, he shared that he thinks Loba’s Tactical needs a buff, Rampart’s Ultimate needs a nerf after the Saviors buff, and that Revenant needs to be removed from the game. Speaking on Crypto and Horizon, he believes both Legends are in a good spot and do not need any changes. When it comes to Valkyrie and Fuse, aceu thinks the Winged Avenger needs a “hard nerf” and that the Explosive Enthusiast needs a completely new Ultimate as his current Motherlode ability is “trash”. Moving onto Seer, aceu believes the Ambush Artist is a “little strong” thanks to his “ridiculous” Passive, but he doesn’t think any major changes need to be implemented. Aceu is a little confused about Mad Maggie’s character as a whole, revealing that he still doesn’t know how she’s ever useful and why Respawn designed her kit the way they did. Finally, he rounds off his analysis by calling for an Ash Ultimate buff to make it more “intuitive” and declaring that he thinks Newcastle is in a good spot. Although aceu’s opinion on buffs & nerfs does not indicate what decisions the devs are going to make in the future, it’s always interesting to hear what streamers think of the current meta and the power of each of the Legends. With a new Collection Event for Season 13 no doubt in the works for Respawn, we’ll have to wait and see what balance changes they decide to implement and whether any aceu’s requests arrive in-game.

  • Aceu calls for “busted” Valkyrie to be nerfed in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu calls for “busted” Valkyrie to be nerfed in Apex Legends Twitch: Aceu/Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has claimed Valkyrie has an “overloaded” kit and needs to be nerfed. Since arriving in Apex Legends back in Season 9, Valkyrie has been a fan-favorite character thanks to her high-flying kit and Titanfall roots. Despite this, it’s only recently that she’s become a top-tier Legend, and that’s reflected in her impressive pick rate which currently sits at 9%. With an Ultimate that can reposition an entire squad, a Tactical that disrupts large groups of enemies, and a Passive that’s perfect for locating opponents, it’s easy to see why she’s such a strong Legend. Well, according to aceu, it’s about time Valkyrie’s “busted” and “overloaded” kit received a nerf, as he doesn’t find it fun to play against. Aceu thinks Valkyrie’s “overloaded” kit needs to be nerfed During his April 29 stream, aceu decided to share his opinion on Valkyrie, and it’s safe to say the streamer isn’t a fan of the Winged Avenger. Calling for her to be removed from the game, it’s obvious aceu wasn’t pleased that the Valk from the previous match had flown above his squad’s Gibraltar bubble in the middle of a gunfight. “Remove Valk bro, if there’s one character I hate it’s Valkyrie,” he said. “F**k that character, I can’t stand her”. Shortly after, aceu elaborated on why he dislikes Valk, calling out her kit as “overloaded” and “busted”. Not only that, he believes that she has the best Passive in Apex as it allows her to track down enemies while using her Ultimate and take to the skies in any gunfight. This makes her extremely difficult to pin down and keep track of while taking on an enemy squad, especially with her Missile Swarm also providing her with AoE disruption. “She has such an overloaded kit it’s actually ridiculous, arguably the most busted Passive in the game”. With Season 13 on the horizon, it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn makes any changes to Valk’s kit. The Winged Avenger’s pick rate has sky-rocketed in Defiance, making her a staple addition to the majority of meta team comps. However, with Wraith, Octane, Bloodhound, and Pathfinder all sitting above her in terms of popularity, Valkyrie may sneak through the major patch with no changes at all.

  • Aceu calls for more meta changes in Apex Legends after “underwhelming” Season 13 – Dexerto

Aceu calls for more meta changes in Apex Legends after “underwhelming” Season 13 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has criticized Season 13 for being “underwhelming” and not shaking up the meta enough. Season 13 arrived in Apex Legends on May 10 and the community has been enjoying all the new content that arrived with the major update. Although the patch introduced a set of balance changes, the major additions included the new Downed Beast POI on Storm Point, Ranked Reloaded, and of course, Newcastle. While a lot of players are satisfied with what Saviors has brought to the table, popular Apex streamer aceu has been critical of the content that’s been added in Season 13. Despite praising the massive Ranked rework, he’s described the update as “underwhelming” and encouraged Respawn to make more drastic meta changes in the future. Aceu thinks Apex Legends Season 13 is “underwhelming” During his May 10 stream, aceu was asked by one of his viewers for his thoughts on Season 13 and all of the content that’s arrived in Saviors. In response, he revealed that although the Ranked Reloaded rework has been positive, the rest of the update feels relatively “underwhelming”. Encouraging Respawn to “switch it up” for upcoming seasons, aceu wants to see the devs “change the meta” with significant nerfs Legends like Valkyrie and Gibraltar. In his eyes, the only major change in terms of gameplay has been the “guns swapping” out of the care package, so it’s clear aceu isn’t particularly excited about the arrival of Newcastle. While Season 13 has been received positively by the community so far, aceu isn’t the only one who has called for major changes to seasonal updates going forward. A lot of players have already requested that Respawn focus on character reworks and balancing instead of new Legend releases every three months, but it’s impossible to know if the devs intend to alter their process going forward. Either way, with a collection event on the horizon now Saviors is released, it’s safe to say aceu will be expecting a Valkyrie nerf when the patch notes finally drop.

  • Aceu changes stance on “pointless” Seer & claims he’s better than Bloodhound in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu changes stance on “pointless” Seer & claims he’s better than Bloodhound in Apex Legends Respawn Entertainment/AceuPopular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has changed his stance on the Bloodhound versus Seer debate, claiming the Ambush Artist provides more “value” to a squad. Over the last few seasons, Recon characters have become extremely valuable when it comes to assembling a meta squad in Apex Legends. This is because they can interact with beacons to identify the next ring for their squad, and a select few of them are equipped with powerful detection abilities. Of course, with only a limited number of spaces in a team comp, the choice between Bloodhound and Seer when it comes to scans is an ongoing debate in the community. Well, after previously calling out Seer as “pointless”, Apex streamer aceu has changed his mind on the debate and thinks the Ambush Artist is now better than Bloodhound. Aceu thinks Seer provides more “value” than Bloodhound During his June 13 stream, aceu was ranking each of the Legends in a tier list when he surprised his chat by placing Seer above Bloodhound. According to him, Seer simply provides more team-based “value” than Bloodhound, giving allies better information about the specific location of enemies. Although the Ambush Artist has a significantly lower pick rate, his ability to lockdown and track an entire squad with his Ultimate makes him a serious threat. This ability is especially valuable when an enemy team is camping a building, and with the changes to Ranked causing players to bunker down more for the late game, it’s a perfect meta for Seer. Despite this, aceu still thinks Bloodhound has a place in a squad, especially for players who prefer to take gunfights and are looking to “kill everybody”. With the mobility from the Ultimate and lower cooldowns on scans, there’s no denying that for racking up eliminations, Bloodhound will always be the better choice. However, at the end of the day, it all comes down to playstyle and how you prefer to pick up victories in the Outlands.

  • Aceu claims another scan Legend is coming next in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Aceu claims another scan Legend is coming next in Apex Legends Season 12 Twitch: Aceu/Respawn EntertainmentNRG’s Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has hinted that Season 12 of Apex Legends will add another character with scan and “wallhack” abilities to the game. In the last few seasons, every character Respawn has added to Apex Legends has had an ability that is capable of revealing the exact location of enemy squads. Whether it’s Valkyrie’s Jet-Fighter HUD, Seer’s Heart Seeker Passive, or Ash’s Marked for Death ability, they’re all immensely powerful, especially in the late game. However, not everyone in the community is happy that the devs are making these design choices and have encouraged Respawn to stop adding “wallhack” abilities. Despite this, according to NRG’s aceu, there’s a chance the Season 12 Legend will continue this trend and reinforce the already prevalent scan meta. Aceu reveals Season 12 Legend could have “wallhack” abilities During aceu’s December 26 Twitch stream, one of his viewers expressed that they wished all wallhack characters were removed from the game. Aceu agreed with the statement but quickly delivered some bad news to his fans, revealing that he’d heard that the Season 12 Legend would also have some kind of scan ability. While he did mention straight after the potential leak that he “could be wrong”, it’s obvious aceu thought the information was already widely known. “I’m pretty sure the next character also has a wallhack ability, could be wrong, definitely could be wrong but I’m pretty sure.” With dataminers and leakers suggesting that Fuse’s past companion Mad Maggie will be arriving in Season 12 as the new Legend, it’ll be interesting to see whether aceu is right. Another scan-based character in Apex Legends may not be very popular within the community, given the overpowered state of Seer at release and complaints about Ash’s Passive. Either way, Season 12 is set to go live in early February so until then, it’s just a case of waiting for any more leaks or official information from the devs.

  • Absurd Apex Legends idea would be perfect for April Fools Day – Dexerto

Absurd Apex Legends idea would be perfect for April Fools Day Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are suggesting an absurd idea to the Respawn devs that would be perfect for an April Fools Day prank. In previous years, the Respawn devs have had tricks up their sleeves for Apex Legends players come April Fools Day. In 2020, the devs trolled fans with a gold version of the Mozambique pistol, which returned in 2021 alongside the golden P2020, that dealt an unreasonable amount of damage while on ziplines. However, as we creep up to April, players are prepared for the sneaky tricks the devs may be trying to pull off. In fact, some are even suggesting some absurd ideas that they’d love to see in 2022. In a Reddit thread on March 12, Apex Legends player Binkal proposed the devs pull a hilarious and ridiculous April Fools Day prank on the community. “April Fools Day idea. For just 24 hours you can put any sight on the game on any weapon,” the player suggested. “I’m talking 10X scope on a R-99, why not?” The idea was certainly reminiscent for many players, as it reminded them of Apex Legends’ launch, where there were fewer restrictions on which optics could go on weapons. “Would definitely bring back some season 0 vibes,” said one. Others were excited about the potential opportunities of using certain scopes with specific guns: “I have simple desires and would spend the entire day with 3x on the Wingman. It would feel so nifty,” said player Kittykg. With a large amount of the Apex community behind the idea, with the post reaching the top of the game’s subreddit, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the devs implement the proposed idea. However, players will have to wait and see what happens when April 1 rolls around.

  • Accidental Apex Legends trick results in insane Pathfinder & Crypto combo – Dexerto

Accidental Apex Legends trick results in insane Pathfinder & Crypto combo Respawn EntertainmentAn incidental use of two abilities in Apex Legends shows how Pathfinder and Crypto can link up to create a unique play with lots of potential. With Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook, players can propel themselves toward whatever object is in their reach. But, as it turns out, if used in tandem with Crypto’s drone, then a team can essentially boost Pathfinder to contorted angles and far away vantage points. The trick isn’t a secret, but Reddit user ‘KomBow_’ showed how effective a Drone-Grapple can be at getting a wildly different perspective in a fight at a moment’s notice. Pushing up on another Apex squad, KomBow chose to get there faster with Crypto’s hook, but they managed to accidentally snipe a teammate’s drone in the process. “Crypto drone and Pathfinder grapple without doing it on purpose,” KomBow said of the play. The player managed to get insane air after launching from the drone, landing on a nearby roof. From the high ground, they were able to isolate an opposing Octane and net themselves a kill shortly after. The sequence of events seemed almost cinematic but as awesome as it was, it could be something more people replicate. While also an ability, Crypto’s drone counts as a solid object in Apex when summoned. It can interact with doors and run into walls, which means it can most certainly be used with Pathfinder’s grapple. Although tricky, there’s nothing to stop Pathfinders from latching on the flying mech to use it as a post in which to sling itself. And even after getting onto the drone, keeping the swing going until you can make something out of it would take some pretty nifty flying from the Crypto piloting it. As unlikely as it was in the clip, this could be something more players adopt as a way to make Pathfinder explode onto the scene. In fact, the swing can last for a significant distance if the Pathfinder and Crypto sync up the swing and drone’s flight path, respectively. Whether its rotations, sending someone for a flank, or something similar, this trick could definitely come in handy if players practice it enough. If the technique takes off among the Apex community, don’t be surprised if you encounter a flying Pathfinder in your games.

  • Respawn fixes accidental Wattson buff giving her a boost in Apex Legends Arenas – Dexerto

Respawn fixes accidental Wattson buff giving her a boost in Apex Legends Arenas Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have issued a hotfix after the Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence patch accidentally gave Wattson a huge boost in the Arenas mode. Updated August 4 Respawn released a small patch for Apex Legends to put an end to Wattson’s short-lived issue in the Arenas playlist. The company said they’ve fixes the problem that let her have 30 pylons for her tactical ability. It’s now been adjusted so she can only have five charges at the start of each round. Minor @playapex update: We adjusted the amount of charges Wattson has for her tactical in Arenas. She now starts each round with 5 charges and can purchase more to get a maximum of 9. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ — Respawn (@Respawn) August 4, 2021 Now players will only be able to get a max of nine charges when buying up in Arenas. Original story follows below… As far as crowd control, no one can touch Wattson and Caustic’s knack for locking down an area. Crucially, these characters have certain limits on their abilities so that they’re not spamming their abilities all around the place. In Arenas, Wattson can usually take up to 5 pylons for her Perimeter Security tactical, but a recent buff has considerably bumped up that number – and Respawn have taken note of the change. There are Wattsons in Arenas that can be seen having up to 30 pylons. This gives her an ample amount of leeway to create huge links that completely block off an area. Before people write this off as Respawn purposefully messing with the meta, this balance update definitely doesn’t look like it was intentional based on dev responses. Additionally, even if you do want to spam all 30 pylons, players still have to contend with her 30-second ability cooldown after placing a few. The most use out of this accidental change would be the convenience of not having to buy more charges. This would have been an intriguing change for Wattson players to start their takeover of the Arenas mode, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Runs to check the patch notes lol pic.twitter.com/ZkFODfPTzM — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) August 4, 2021 “I’ve been playing Wattson with 30 fences and I haven’t done anything different with her from 5 until I have my ult in which I can be slightly more aggressive,” Reddit user ‘BreezePosts’ said in response to someone saying this doesn’t make Wattson any stronger. “It is actually painful how annoyingly true this is.” Even still, Respawn’s Director of Comms Ryan K. Rigney and Producer Josh Medina were surprised to see Wattson have 30 fences available to her, so it might get patched rather soon. In the meantime, people can have fun laying down dozens of fences with Wattson in the Arenas mode, even if it won’t be for that long.

  • Apex Legends hitboxes: Which characters are hardest to hit? – Dexerto

Apex Legends hitboxes: Which characters are hardest to hit? RespawnOne Apex Legends fan has gone out of their way to give other players an accurate idea of the current hitboxes – following recent frustrations surrounding the differences with the current eight unique in-game characters. Apex Legends has swept across the gaming world since its surprising release on February 4, with over 25 million players playing the title within the first two weeks of its launch – yet, the hit-boxes of characters have caused quite a stir among players recently. Despite all the praise, some fans are still having trouble getting to grips with the Legends and their different shapes and sizes – which affects what part of them will take damage depending on how they’ve been sized by the game’s developers. Respawn Entertainment have already addressed concerns about the recent potential ‘broken hitboxes’ but YouTuber SookieSpy has now demonstrated the differences between each Legend and their hitbox size. SookieSpy demonstrated just how he was able to draw up accurate representations of each legend by shooting around them from a distance to see what hit and what didn’t. It may have taken a few hours, but the YouTuber was able to give other players an accurate idea of what to target. However, the YouTuber also explained that a character’s hitbox can change based on the animation they’re in. The Legends have in-game idle animations for when they are, indeed, idle – where they may nod their head, fold or just move their arms anyway. The hitboxes change to cover the whole body in these moments. He also explained that any sort of baggy clothing, hair or items hanging off the character isn’t a part of the hitboxes for most of them, but it is for some. Read More: Shroud’s Top 10 best moments in Apex Legends – However, he didn’t reveal which Legends have different hitboxes for their items or their clothing but did state that players can’t shoot Caustic’s gas trap in hopes of finding an explosive kill. Respawn properly addressed concerns about certain character hitboxes in the March 6 patch – which saw significant changes made to the popular Wingman and Mozambique weapons. It was also announced in the patch notes that with the start of Apex Legends’ season one, the start date of which is still unknown, there will be hitbox size reductions and optimizations for Caustic, Pathfinder and Gibraltar. Touching on the current hitbox problem for the legends, Respawn explained: “Our goal is to be able to have characters with different rig sizes, hitboxes and ability kits, and still have each character be roughly equal in power level, win rate and viability of pick.” “Overall, we want to try to increase the power level of the large rig characters, before we consider large nerfs to everyone else,” they added. “While we’ve made small adjustments, we’re hopeful that increasing the power of large rigs is healthier than nerfing everyone else.” While fans may not have a date for when the season one changes will be implemented, they can take solace in the fact that Respawn is listening to concerns and actively making changes based on that feedback.

  • Aceu baffled after “pay to win” iron sight randomly appears in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Aceu baffled after “pay to win” iron sight randomly appears in Apex Legends NRG/RespawnTwitch star Brandon ‘Aceu’ Winn was left quite disappointed after an Apex Legends bug gave him a “pay to win” iron sight, only for it to disappear moments later. Like all of its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends has dived head first into the cosmetics market – adding everything from new character skins, weapon wraps, gun charms, and beyond. Over time, there have been a handful of problematic skins – some unintentionally giving players an advantage as they’ve become difficult to see in cover – that have been labeled as “pay to win” by the game’s community. Respawn has tidied most of these cosmetics up, but there’s a bug that is unintentionally giving players better iron sights. Though, in Aceu’s case, it didn’t last all that long. Apex Legends bug gives “pay to win” iron sights The NRG streamer was dominating in the Apex Games during his August 30 stream when he came across a fully-kitted out R99 that was decked out in the Cutting Edge skin from Season 7. Aceu quickly checked out the SMG’s iron sights, and was surprised to see how clean it was with just the dot in the middle of the screen and with very little clutter impacting his vision. “What the f**k?! Wait, the R99, they changed the iron sight. It’s more pay to win,” he called out. However, after switching weapons and searching another death box, the iron sights quickly reverted to their usual state, leaving him a little gutted. “Nooooooo! I had the best bug in the world and now it’s unbugged,” Aceu bemoaned. Why the bug occurs and gives players a better iron sight is anyone’s guess, really, but it’s not the only example of cosmetics looking better as a result of a mistake. Players have seen ‘silencers’ put on Wingman skins, and they look pretty nifty. It might be something that Respawn has to iron out to prevent worries about these bugs actually impacting gun fights, but they’re still cool to see too.

  • Aceu blames Apex Legends “braindead” community for quitting the game – Dexerto

Aceu blames Apex Legends “braindead” community for quitting the game NRG / RespawnFormer CS:GO and Apex Legends pro player Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn has slammed the battle royale’s community as “braindead”, blaming it for his move to other titles on Twitch. NRG’s aceu is one of few FPS gamers to go pro in multiple titles: CS:GO and Apex Legends. He retired from CS in 2019, opting to pursue a career in competitive Apex Legends. However, this venture only lasted six months or so, as the American announced he was retiring from professional play to stream on Twitch full time. He is still streaming full-time, but has branched out much more into other titles like Valorant, Escape from Tarkov and even Call of Duty: Warzone. Returning to Apex Legends for a stream of the new Season, aceu turned his attention to the game’s community, calling some viewers “braindead” and a key reason for his move away from full-time competing. “Okay chat you guys are actually f**king retarded,” he said. “Put it in sub mode please. You guys do not know anything. I’d never read such a braindead chat until I came to Apex Legends and I saw the people who watch Apex Legends. I can’t stand any of you guys. You wanna know the reason I left? Because there’s so many braindead f**king idiots that play this game.” Continuing in a more tongue-in-cheek rant, aceu said, “I feel like I need to go find Jesus after reading chat just to get my eyes scrubbed,” he continued. “I need to be re-birthed to free myself from the things I read in an Apex stream. It blows my mind that people can put up with you guys for more than 4 hours and not lose their minds.” Winn clearly feels that the level of backseat gaming and chat toxicity is much higher in Apex Legends, even stating it as a major reasons for his move towards other titles. It’s not just the Apex community that is accused of frustrating streamers though, with lots of streamers often criticizing “backseat gaming.”

  • Absurd Apex Legends glitch gives Wraith the wrong Ultimate ability – Dexerto

Absurd Apex Legends glitch gives Wraith the wrong Ultimate ability In one of the most confusing Apex Legends glitches to date, Wraith appears to have acquired the Ultimate ability of a fellow Legend, and left her opponents absolutely bewildered. Season Three of Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale title has seen no shortage of hilarious and over the top bugs. From a mesmerizing, rainbow-fuelled drop, to a frustrating Black Friday oversight with the Legendary Octane skin, players never know quite what to expect when dropping into World’s Edge lately. Additionally, Legends have been prone to extraordinary glitches that merge their identities in confusing ways. A recent incident saw Caustic’s Gas Trap ability combine with Wattson’s Interception Pylon for an overly devastating effect. Taking things one step further though, we now have Apex characters combining Ultimate’s and leaving the opposition flustered. Showcased throughout a December 11 post, Reddit user ‘BrokenBenji’ highlighted the obscene glitch through the perspective of his teammate ‘Ls FaTty.’ Connecting near-lethal damage to the opponent up high, Pathfinder placed a Zipline and dashed straight towards the rooftop in order to seal the deal. To the complete shock of the squad however, what greeted them on the roof was six copies of Wraith stood in an outward-facing circle, no different to Mirage during the effects of his Vanishing Act Ultimate ability. Having somehow stolen the ability of another character altogether, the Wraith vanished in thin air and left the team hunting for clues for a good while as the number of total remaining players continued to dwindle. There’s no telling quite how the odd glitch came into effect but it certainly caught the team by surprise and led to a bizarre goose chase wondering where the Wraith-turned-Mirage enemy might have repositioned. Eventually, the jig was up. Invisibility had worn off and being out in the open through a 1v3 scenario, it’s safe to say that the rest of the fight was purely academic. With characters merging into one another and glitching out with inaccurate Ultimate abilities, players are going to need to keep their wits about them even moreso than usual until Respawn Entertainment implements a sweeping set of bug fixes. While there’s no surefire way to plan around such an extreme glitch, it’s worthwhile to be extra cautious when hunting down targets in Apex Legends. Regardless of your scouting skills and the communication of your squad, nothing can prepare you for a Legend utilizing a completely different Ultimate ability in the heat of the moment.

  • A game-changing Apex Legends bug blocks players’ vision while aiming – Dexerto

A game-changing Apex Legends bug blocks players’ vision while aiming A visual bug in Apex Legends prevents players from being able to see when aiming down sights. When this bug occurs, players aiming down the sights of their weapon will find the majority of their screen blocked by what appears to be the back end of the gun being shown extremely close to the camera. Fortunately, this bug does seem to be limited to a rather particular set of circumstances. Apex player u/onebigtaco discovered that it only occurred for them while using Caustic with the “Sixth Sense” Legendary skin. Furthermore, the bug doesn’t appear to occur on all weapons or even with all attachments. In u/onebigtaco’s case, it happened only while using the Prowler, and only with a 1X HOLO sight attached. Using another weapon, or simply taking the sight off the gun, seems to fix the issue. It’s unclear exactly what set of circumstances produce this bug. It seems largely limited to the Prowler, although the Legend and skin being used also seems to affect it. It’s unclear how much different sights may also impact the bug. It should therefore be relatively easy to avoid, given that changing one of several potential variables should prevent it from occurring. If you really must use the Prowler with a sight of some kind while playing as Caustic, however, it’s worth checking the ADS for this bug before you get into a gun-fight and adjusting accordingly to fix it.

  • February’s Apex Legends solo kill world record for console has been smashed – Dexerto

February’s Apex Legends solo kill world record for console has been smashed A new world record for the most solo kills in a game of Apex Legends on console has been set, raising the bar for all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players hoping to claim the throne. PlayStation 4 player Calamiti has pulled off a massive 34-kill game, topping the previous console record of 31 kills with some room to spare. While qualifying for the record only requires that an individual player be accredited with enough kills, in Calamiti’s case it really was a solo effort. One team-mate apparently never made it into the game, while the other dropped out without dealing any damage. The result was that Calamiti was routinely out-numbered in pursuit of the victory, but managed to take down group after group alone to both win the game and set a new kill record, racking up over 6000 damage in the process. Calamiti’s set-up for the record will be familiar to anyone who’s watched high-skill players on any platform. Wraith is the legend of choice for the aggressive player looking to maximize both their kill count and their survivability in solo scenarios. Meanwhile, the Wingman is unsurprisingly his go-to weapon – almost universally considered the most powerful standard weapon in the game if you can hit your shots consistently – joined by the R-99 sub machine-gun for finishing off kills at close range. The overall solo kill record still rests on the PC side of things, with Houston Outlaws streamer and former Overwatch pro Lucas ‘Mendokusai’ Håkansson holding the title at 36 kills, but Calamiti’s performance nevertheless closes the gap between the platforms. Console players do hold the record for the most collective kills as a squad in a single game, however, with Gaitor_423, Pensatas, and ImCadillackin putting up 45 kills between them, compared to the 41 managed by two PC groups.

  • Abilities & images leaked for Conduit & Forge characters in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Abilities & images leaked for Conduit & Forge characters in Apex Legends Apex Legends data-miner ‘Shrugtal’ has discovered the names and abilities of two new unreleased Legends that could be added into the game at some point in the future. As the title of the game indicates, Legends play a huge role in Apex Legends, as each one has three unique abilities that players can use to take down enemies and win matches. Since the game’s release, there have been three new characters added, one for each season, and there’s no doubt Respawn Entertainment has many more in development. In fact, information about two new Legends called Forge and Conduit has been discovered and leaked by prominent data-miner ‘Shrugtal,’ adding to the long list of unreleased characters about whom details have been leaked about. You can find everything we know so far about both Legends below, including their abilities and a possible estimate on when they may be released. Leaked abilities for unreleased Forge legend According to the leaks, Forge is an “augmented brawler” who actually has six listed abilities instead of the usual three. This could either be because the developers haven’t yet narrowed the best list down to three or the character could come with two sets of abilities, much like the leaked Revenant. Pull Shot: Short range grapple that pulls enemies into you or can be used to launch yourself into the air. – Ground Slam: Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below. – K.O. Punch: Jump forward in a direction. Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below. – One-Two: Bull rush in a straight line. If you hit an enemy along the way, press again to do an upper-cut launching you into the air. – One The Ropes: Enhances your melee to do more damage the lower your health is. Dealing melee damage gives you temporary overshield. – Victory Rush: Killing a player with a melee attack restores your health and gives you a 30% speed boost for 10 seconds. – As for what Forge looks like, the data-miner was able to find a image of his face, although it appears to still be in the concept drawing phase and not what he’ll look like in-game. There was a new guy added to the Legend icon art set. pic.twitter.com/j2WkkzkhZh — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) November 5, 2019 Leaked abilities for unreleased Conduit Legend Moving onto the second leaked Legend, code-named Conduit, who the game files indicate will be an “Overshield Conductor,” perhaps suggesting that Conduit will be a support character rather than one that offers a clear offensive or defensive purpose. Unlike Forge, the files have what appear to be the finalized set of three abilities, even going as far as to label each one as the passive, tactical, or ultimate. Tactical Arc Flash: Deals damage to Conduit’s shields to give targeted allies an overshield. – Passive Capacitance: Conduit’s base health is 50 health and 50 shield, instead of 100 health. Conduit gradually regenerates shield over time. – Ultimate Short Circuit: Conduit channels their shields into a giant arc ball that flies across the battlefield, stealing shields from enemies. – Unfortunately, the data-miner was unable to find an image for Conduit. When will these leaked Legends be released? So far, Respawn have limited their new Legend releases to only one per season, which means there’s no telling when these two characters will see the light of day in Apex Legends. The data-miner did come across a file in the back-end that suggest Forge would be the Legend released for Season 4, but that seems very unlikely considering how incomplete he still is. Read More: Apex Legends v3.1 update patch notes – In fact, Conduit seems more complete than Forge does at the current moment, since the three abilities have seemingly been already determined. Of course, at the end of the day, there isn’t anything that proves these Legends are even real, since all of this information is based on unofficial leaks. The fact that both characters are listed under codenames mean they are both still very early in their development and could see their names, abilities, and appearances changed before all is said and done. In the meantime, make sure to check out our leaked Apex Legends characters hub, where we have the abilities and images for every unreleased Legend that’s been leaked so far.

  • Ability skins could be the next customization option in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Ability skins could be the next customization option in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends fans have called for a new customization option to be added to the battle royale game, which would give players skins on their Legend’s abilities. At the core of free-to-play games is customization, or ‘skins’, to allow fans to personalize their character, and in turn, generate revenue for the developer. Apex Legends is no different and has released countless skins since the game was first launched. However, fans are now calling for even more choice, and a brilliant idea could be exactly what they want. Following the release of the latest Legendary Arachnid Rush Octane skin pack, many called for Respawn to add some customization for some of the Legends’ tactical and Ultimate abilities too. The pack features a character skin, weapon skin and charm, and a banner badge. An idea which was first shared by Reddit user u/mrxlongshot suggested that certain abilities in Apex Legends, such as Octane’s jump pad could be visually altered to match the skin that a player has equipped. Another fan on the Apex Legends subreddit u/xenotheboi designed what the new skin abilities could look like in-game, remaking the stim and jump pad to match the newly released Octane skin. Fans have suggested many more skin abilities since with ideas to give fan favorite legends such as Wraith different color portals. One of the most common requests is to give Lifeline’s DOC Healing Drone a matching skin for her outfits. However, some have criticized that it might be quite difficult for Respawn to pull off, as newly customizable options may cause issues with visibility and lead to unfair advantages. Another user shared this sentiment replying with concerns over some of the standout abilities that are currently in the game, “If you add skins to some legends tacticals and ultimates it could act as camouflage or distraction.” Skins have been seen to cause unfortunate visual bugs in other titles, as was seen with Modern Warfare’s esports team skins which made characters invisible.
