Does Wuthering Waves have multiplayer or co-op? – Dexerto
Does Wuthering Waves have multiplayer or co-op? Kuro GameWuthering Waves is an open world gacha game, but does it feature multiplayer or co-op? Here’s everything we know about whether or not you’ll be able to play with friends. One of the latest anime games that Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail fans will be keen to try is Wuthering Waves. It’s an action-packed RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world, where you’ll have to defeat monsters and otherwordly beings that have arrived due to a mysterious event known as the Lament. It features a vast open world to explore, and plenty of different characters to obtain and use in combat, as well as some stunning anime-inspired visuals. However, before you jump in, you may want to know if the game features multiplayer or co-op. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about whether or not you can play Wuthering Waves in co-op with friends. Wuthering Waves: Is there co-op or multiplayer? Yes, Wuthering Waves features co-op multiplayer, allowing you to play together with friends. The game lets you play co-op in parties up to three, and you can either invite your friends to play or join a session with random players. Once you’ve joined a game or somebody has joined yours, you can explore the open world together, farm important materials including Echoes, and take on enemy mobs and boss fights. However, there’s a catch. The co-op feature isn’t exactly available when you’re just starting out in the game. In fact, you’ll have to reach a certain point to unlock it. How to unlock co-op or multiplayer in Wuthering Waves To unlock co-op in Wuthering Waves, you are required to reach Union Level 22. The way this works is pretty similar to Genshin Impact’s Adventure Rank, measuring your overall progress throughout the game. By leveling up your Union Level, you’ll get to unlock more main story quests, and others benefits in the game. It can feel like a little bit of a grind when it comes to reaching that point, but we recommend focusing on the main story quests, as this gives you a chunk of Union XP. Once you run out of main story quests you can unlock, ideally you’ll also want to complete the side quests, like the ones from NPCs and exploration quests. How to join co-op sessions in Wuthering Waves Once you’ve hit Union Level 22, the co-op mode option will finally be available when you load your Terminal menu. Here’s how you can join co-op with friends or strangers: Press ESC or select the icon on your top right to launch the menu. – Click the arrow on the right to open the second tab. – Select Co-op Mode at the bottom. – You’ll be taken to a new page showing different available co-op sessions, select Apply to Join to whoever you’d prefer to play with – Alternatively, you can click on Friends to show available co-op sessions from your friend list. – For more content on the game, check out our guides below: All elements explained | Is Wuthering Waves open world? | Is Wuthering Waves coming to console? | Wuthering Waves system requirements | Is Wuthering Waves free to play? | Is Wuthering Waves cross-platform?

Does Valve’s Deadlock have skins? – Dexerto
Does Valve’s Deadlock have skins? ValveDeadlock is Valve’s newest take on the hero shooter MOBA genre, featuring a multitude of unique and interesting characters to pick from. Here’s what we know about the game’s skins so far. Valve’s mysterious new project has been making waves on the internet as of late. Deadlock, the new third-person MOBA mixes elements from games like Overwatch and League of Legends, bringing iconic heroes to a new battlefield. With the game only just getting into closed beta, everyone’s curious to see where Valve takes the new title. Being a free-to-play game, many are wondering if there will be cosmetics that allow them to upgrade and customize their favorite characters. Want to know more about Deadlock’s skins? Here’s what we know so far. Deadlock: does the game have skins? As of writing, Deadlock does not have any skins. Each character just has their base design currently available, which is pretty unfortunate for any cosmetic lovers out there. However, the game is only in its early stages, being in closed beta at the moment. This of course means that the developers are still working hard to continue making the game. This might mean that cosmetics like skins are taking a back seat for the moment, so the devs can complete the title and launch it for everyone. Will Deadlock have skins in the future? Just because Deadlock doesn’t have skins at the moment, doesn’t mean it won’t in the future. It’s highly likely that Deadlock will have skins in a future update, as many other titles from Valve, like Team Fortress 2, Counterstrike 2, and DOTA 2 have all had a lengthy history of skins. Valve’s skins tend to be a bit more about cosmetic sets, however, meaning if DOTA is anything to go off of, you’ll be able to mix and match pieces of cosmetics for a character. Think maybe a different weapon skin, or a new shirt. The devs have yet to officially confirm if skins will be a thing in Deadlock, but many players, us included, are convinced that they’re on the way, we’ll just need to wait out a little longer.

Does The Lords of the Fallen have multiplayer? CI GamesDoes The Lords of the Fallen offer multiplayer gameplay? Dive in to find out more about the co-op features in this much-anticipated Soulslike sequel. The latest installment of The Lords of the Fallen, the latest Soulslike and the successor to the 2014 game offers players an epic tale set a millennium later. As adventurers traverse the ominous world of Mournstead, they’re met with relentless challenges and fierce boss encounters. The Soul and Soulslike genres are known for being difficult and sometimes having a friend join you can make the experience a lot more pleasant. From ringing the hunting bell in Bloodborne, to summoning players in Elden Ring, co-op play has been a staple of these games for a while now but does The Lords of the Fallen also include multiplayer? Here’s everything you need to know about potential co-op in the upcoming title. Does The Lords of the Fallen have Multiplayer? Yes, The Lords of the Fallen does have multiplayer. Players can team up with a friend in The Lords of the Fallen thanks to the game’s co-op mechanics. Another feature that makes the game’s co-op stand out is having the ability to revive your teammate. This should likely make the game more accessible than other Souls titles where if your partner runs out of health they’ll die and you have to resummon them if you want to keep enjoying multiplayer. There will still be challenges to face in co-op, however, as enabling online multiplayer also runs the risk of inviting invaders into your realm who will be hard to take down, so you’ll need to stay on guard! Does The Finals have SBMM? Skill-based matchmaking explained – Dexerto
Does The Finals have SBMM? Skill-based matchmaking explained Embark StudiosThe Finals is a PvP shooter that has become extremely popular ever since its release. This game features both casual and ranked game modes, which means there is a massive discussion regarding SBMM. Here is what we know about SBMM so far. Skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) is a feature in PvP games that pits you against players based on your relative skill which balances out the lobbies, keeping the game interesting as you’re forced to polish your skills to remain at the top of the game. The Finals, at its core, is a proper PvP shooter, which means a display of individual skill is at its absolute maximum. If you are a crack shot, you will have a blast in the game. Even then, playing against players of equal skill can make lobbies exceptionally difficult. This can happen because of SBMM. That being said, here is what you need to know about whether or not The Finals employs Skill-based matchmaking. Does The Finals have SBMM? The developers have not confirmed anything about SBMM in The Finals. However, a lot of players feel that SBMM is integrated within the code of The Finals. This is because the lobbies for now are fairly balanced. If you win multiple games, you will suddenly face against high-skilled players which will make the lobbies excessively difficult. This discussion was quite prevalent in the official Discord server of The Finals where players presented their concerns. However, you must realize that this is simply based on player concerns. The developers have made no such claims. We will update this section with further details once they become available. What is SBMM in The Finals? SBMM (Skill-based matchmaking) is a feature where you will get matched against players of similar skill levels. This means if you are a low-ranked player, you will get matched against similar ones to ensure that the matches feel close. However, if you are a high-level player then you will never be matched against players below your skill level. This is a method that is used in multiple FPS games like Modern Warfare 3, XDefiant, and others. The problem with SBMM is that low-end players will have a good time, but high-skill players will have to struggle even when they are playing a Quickmatch. This is all you need to know about SBMM in The Finals. If you found it informative, do not forget to check out some of our other guides at Dexerto. Can you play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League single-player? – Dexerto
Can you play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League single-player? WB GamesBeing a multiplayer-focused title, you may be wondering if Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has single-player capabilities at all. Here’s what you need to know if you want to navigate the invaded Metropolis on your own. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a big departure in many ways for Rocksteady. The developer is famous for its Batman Arkham series, which are deeply beloved as single-player action games. The studio built its reputation on great games you can play on your own, and that’s why many are a little wary about the always-on, co-op nature of this newest title. The developer is instead moving its focus onto a squad of four anti-heroes, teamed up to try and overcome the Justice League and, ultimately Brainiac. It will then sprawl into a live service structure, with new DLC and playable characters being added to the team, all bringing something new to the game. That will be a worrying sign for some, as many will likely just want a continuation of what they loved about the Arkham games. Having seasonal updates and battle passes may sound strange for those who are looking to get lost in a Rocksteady game. That’s why it’s a fair question to ask if you can play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League completely on your own. We’re here to help answer that. Here’s what you need to know when it comes to playing the game solo. Can you play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League solo? Yes, you can play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League completely solo. This is confirmed on the game’s website FAQ, where it states: “The full game is playable either solo or with up to four players in online co-op.” However there are some things to be aware of. Regardless of if you are playing solo, the game is still focused on the four-character squad. Even on your own, you will be playing with three AIs who will fight alongside you. It’s also important to note that, at launch, an online connection will be needed to play the game even if you play alone. This will be rectified in a later patch, where an offline single-player version of the game will eventually be offered, but there is no confirmed timeline for that. One nice thing though is if you are playing on your own, you won’t need to be a PS Plus member of Xbox Lives subscriber, so there’s no barrier there.

However, while the character customization is certainly extensive, its price is a little steep, especially if you want to unlock everything and push for the best builds in the game. Character customization explained Character customization allows you to completely change the look of your Space Marine, therefore changing their Chapter. However, there’s a lot more to the alteration than simply picking your favorite color or type. Customization is absent from the campaign but appears in the Operations and Eternal War PvP mode. Players can select a specific class (which we have a dedicated tier list for) to change their weapons and armor designs. Your customizations won’t transfer between modes, however, so you’ll have to customize in both if you want the exact same look. To customize your character you’ll need to visit the Armoring Hall and interact with the station. From here, you’ll see each class and can switch between tabs to start creating your desired look. Armor sets New armor sets are unlocked as you progress in the different modes, and each one has certain requirements that can be checked by hovering over them. For example, to obtain the Relic Secundus set you’ll have to achieve victory in 35 missions in either Operations or Eternal War. Finally, you can also create a custom armor set if you watch to mix and match different gear. Chapters If you want to change a Marine’s core Chapter, this can be done under the Astartes Chapter tab. There are preset color schemes from numerous well-known Chapters like the Space Wolves and Dark Angels, as well as the likes of the Carcharodons and Novamarines. However, if you want to craft your own, or replicate a Chapter missed, you can adjust the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors of the separate armor pieces. Unlocking these colors and cosmetics can be fairly expensive, however, as you’ll need plenty of Requisition Points with each cosmetic costing between 30 – 50. We’ve got a full guide for how to unlock Requisition to make things easier. It’s also important to note that prior to the game’s release, Focus Entertainment clarified that there would be no microtransactions in Space Marine 2 so you won’t have to part with any real-world money for customization. Does Skull and Bones have melee combat? – Dexerto
Does Skull and Bones have melee combat? UbisoftSkull and Bones, Ubisoft’s new maritime adventure has finally arrived for players to immerse themselves in the thrilling world of piracy on the high seas. However, one burning question that many have is whether the game includes melee combat. We have the answer for you. Skull and Bones offers a captivating marine adventure focusing on intense ship battles and naval strategy. However, this is not the first foray of Ubisoft into the ocean. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was released in 2013 and it was this year that saw the shaping up of Skull and Bones. The game was initially intended to be an expansion of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag but became its own standalone adventure as time passed. Black Flag is often considered by many to be one of the best Assassin’s Creed games out there. When it came out, it offered something new to players allowing them to pilot their own ship as a pirate and engage in naval combat, as well as build a crew and board enemy ships which made melee combat a core aspect of gameplay. This begs the question of whether or not Ubisoft has included melee combat in Skull and Bones. Here’s all you need to know. Is there melee combat in Skull and Bones? No, unfortunately, Skull and Bones does not feature melee combat but instead focuses solely on ship-to-ship combat. The primary form of combat revolves around mastering your sailing ship, executing strategic maneuvers, and charting your course as the captain of your vessel. This is unfortunate as some players have expressed interest in a melee mechanic that would allow for closer engagements between vessels, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay. Can you get out of your ship in Skull and Bones? There are opportunities to leave your ship and explore land-based areas, these instances are primarily focused on gathering resources, purchasing items, or upgrading your equipment. However, it’s essential to note that these land-based explorations do not involve melee combat. Does Skull and Bones have land combat? – Dexerto
Does Skull and Bones have land combat? UbisoftThe long-awaited release of Ubisoft’s latest foray into the world of pirates is nearly here, but Skull and Bones is a very different proposition to the game that was first announced. Land raids were a big part of the Golden Age of Piracy, but will this latest big money release let players disembark their ships? When it was first announced way back in 2017, it was billed by many as the spiritual successor to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Widely regarded as one of the best games in the series to date, it featured everything players might want to do as a pirate. A big part of that was to counterintuitive leave the ship. Players were able to attack colonies and siege forts, with those interactions providing some of the most exciting combat scenarios in the entire game. As a result, players may have a reasonable expectation that they will be able to do the same here. Read on to find out just how Skull & Bones is approaching piratical combat. Is there land combat in Skull and Bones? In short, no the game does not feature land combat in any form. Skull and Bones is pitched as a naval combat simulator and it is very much staying true to that principle. Almost everything in the game will be completed by the player from the helm of their ship. That said, there will be some time to take a trip to land and break from the immense dangers of the oceans. Several hubs serve as locations for players to barter with NPCs. These are a necessary part of the game but don’t offer much in the way of excitement. It seems that land combat was far from the thoughts of the developer since the beginning. Ubisoft leaned into the premise of providing the most exciting and visceral naval combat possible. As a result, land combat felt like an impractical afterthought. Does Skull and Bones have character customization? – Dexerto
Does Skull and Bones have character customization? UbisoftAfter a far longer wait than many were expecting, Skull and Bones is finally here. Billed by Ubisoft as a deeply immersive naval combat simulator set in the Golden Age of Piracy, players will be able to customize their ships extensively, but character customization is more restrictive. There have been widely varied expectations of Skull and Bones in the nearly seven years since it was announced. Some expected a direct update of the beloved Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, though this was quickly put to bed by the developer. One of the major differences is that the game does not feature land combat in any form. Players can disembark their ships, but this is mostly to barter and interact with some of the game’s NPCs. With the game finally out, here’s everything you need to know about the game’s character creation. Can you customize your character in Skull and Bones? After completing the game’s introduction, some customization options become available for the player character. Initially, there are several archetype characters that can be selected. This is a similar system to the one Ubisoft employed in The Division 2. Once that’s done, it’s possible to change the hair, clothing and accessories of the character to make it feel a little more personal. That said, there will still be a lot of people in the game with very similar pirate designs to your own. Beyond that, players looking to make zany and unusual characters in a fashion similar to Baldur’s Gate 3 will likely be disappointed. There is a lot of room for customization and changes to the ten ships currently available in the game, so that may make up for it. Here is a discussion on whether the game has a story mode or not. Story modes are quite possibly one of the most intriguing aspects of any game. Over the past several years, titles with a well-defined campaign have managed to create a mark in the minds of the players that continues to resonate endlessly. As such, with Skull and Bones out now, players are quite eager to learn if this title features a story mode you to experience solo or in co-op with friends. So, here is what we know about a story mode in Skull and Bones. Does Skull and Bones have a campaign? No, Skull and Bones does not have a story mode campaign. But for newcomers and even those with the game, it’s not entirely clear if the title supports local co-op, split-screen, or any couch co-op functionality, so let’s clear that up for you today. Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is a bold sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From The Ashes. It’s a follow-up that betters its predecessor in almost every way thanks to some strong looting and shooting mechanics. The devs are also continuing to support the game with various updates and patches to improve it further. One of its strongest core elements is its proclivity to encourage co-op gameplay. Remnant 2 can support up to three players in a squad simultaneously, allowing teams to go out into the world and hunt together – even in crossplay. The full extent of the titles multiplayer isn’t as apparent as it could be, meaning our guide should help you out. Does Remnant 2 have local co-op? We’re sorry to report that Remnant 2 doesn’t include local co-op, split-screen, or couch co-op or any way shape, or form. Does Pikmin 4 have multiplayer or co-op ? NintendoThe latest title in Nintendo‘s Pikmin franchise, Pikmin 4, has finally arrived but does the game have co-op features? Here’s everything you need to know. Pikmin is a beloved series where players take control of the adorable plant-like Pikmin to solve puzzles, collect items, and generally progress through the game‘s challenges. Co-op and multiplayer have typically been limited in past Pikmin entries, only allowing players to team up for side content. However, the deluxe rerelease of Pikman 3 in 2020 introduced multiplayer capabilities for the main campaign, so naturally many players are wondering if full co-op features are available in Pikmin 4. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about whether or not Pikmin 4 has multiplayer or co-op. Does Pikmin 4 have multiplayer or co-op? Yes, Pikmin 4 does have multiplayer and co-op elements but like the majority of the franchise, it’s a limited experience. Co-op is available during Pikmin 4’s main campaign, however, it’s not a typical experience. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to run around the same map with your friend in the game but there are a couple of multiplayer modes to enjoy. The ‘Pebble Pincher’ mode is the core co-op experience in Pikmin 4. Instead of controlling two separate characters in this mode, a second player can assist the first by controlling an on-screen cursor that can be used to throw helpful items to Player 1. You can also throw pebbles to stun enemies and interact with various objects in the environment. The most in-depth multiplayer feature in Pikmin 4 comes from the ‘Dandori Battle mode‘, which is occasionally featured throughout the main story. In this mode, you’ll need to gather as many items as possible within an allotted amount of time. Two players can either team up against an AI opponent or compete against each other. If you’re looking for the most robust multiplayer experience in Pikmin 4 then the Dandori Battle mode is the best option. That’s everything you need to know about multiplayer and co-op in Pikmin 4! By default, your core skills are automatically mapped to the controller face buttons so four skills can be accessed with a quick press on any of these buttons, and four additional skills can be executed by holding the left or right trigger while pressing any of the face buttons. If you’d prefer to switch the face buttons your skills are assigned to, however, you can easily remap them by using the method explained above. Does Payday 2 have cross-play & cross-platform progression? – Dexerto
Does Payday 2 have cross-play & cross-platform progression? Overkill SoftwarePayday 2 players are still heisting strong in 2024, but those wanting to play cross-platform may wish to play with their friends via crossplay. Here’s everything you need to know. Despite the somewhat misshapen update cycle of Payday 3, players are still flocking to Payday 2 with an average of about 25,000 players still playing the game on Steam each day. The modding capabilities of the game are likely why, but this number could be much higher when you consider it’s also available on consoles. With Payday 2 being so popular it’s inevitable players will want to play with their friends across multiple systems or take their progress from one platform to another. So, does Payday 2 feature cross-play and cross-platform features? Here is everything we can tell you. Does Payday 2 have cross-play multiplayer? Payday 2 does not have cross-play multiplayer between PC and consoles. You will only be able to play with other players who are using the same platform as you. However, the game does support cross-play between Steam and Epic Games Launcher. This is because both of these platforms are running the same version of the game, and both use the Epic matchmaking system. This matchmaking system extends to a Social Hub where you can add your friends using a friend code. The game also has a Lobby Code feature, so you can join a person’s game via the code rather than an invite. Does Payday 2 have cross-platform progression? Payday 2 does not have cross-platform progression. So you can’t take your weapons, skills, masks, and other progression with you should you decide to switch platforms. The reason for this is that on each platform, Payday 2 is on a different version number. For example, the PC version is the most up-to-date version, having over 240 major content updates. The last update occurred in December 2023. Meanwhile, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game stopped receiving updates in 2018, along with the Switch version which didn’t have any updates. Therefore, there isn’t parity between each version of the game and crossplay cannot exist. This is an issue that was circumvented in Payday 3.

How to install Palworld mods – Dexerto
How to install Palworld mods PocketpairPalworld is a game with endless potential, and that potential can be taken so much further with the addition of mods. Here is how to install mods on Palworld for PC. Palworld has exploded in popularity since its release earlier in January, with the term ‘Pokemon with guns’ being thrown around since its initial reveal. Of course, the game is a little more than that. Palworld is an intriguing blend of the building and survival mechanics of the Ark franchise, the varied creature collection of Pokemon, and the open-world traversal of more recent Zelda titles. All of which sound like a modder’s paradise. So, how does the PC version of Palworld support mods, and how do you install them? This guide will show you how to do that. Where to find Palworld mods You can find Palworld mods on Nexus Mods by going to the game’s official community page. The types of mods you’ll find here are various, from useful quality-of-life features to fun alternative cosmetic changes. This does come with one stipulation, however. While the “Pokemon with guns” aspect might bring in a very obvious modding opportunity, Nexus Mods won’t host any mods that use Pokemon assets due to legal reasons. How to install mods in Palworld While Palworld’s developers Pocketpair have yet to introduce official modding tools to the survival game, you already can install mods with a little technical know-how. We recommend that you make a backup of your game files before messing around. Palworld mods will each have their own instructions to getting them up and running in your game. Most of them, however, will ask you to go to your game’s installation path (Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\Mods) and change the Mods.txt file located in there. This will allow the mod to run in-game. It’s also best to pay close attention to the installation instructions for each mod as you install them, as some come with additional instructions. When will official modding tools come to Palworld? Developer Pocketpair has confirmed that Palworld will receive official mod support at some point in the future. They made the announcement on the game’s Steam page but when this will happen has not yet been revealed, so it could be a while off. It’s worth noting the game is still in Early Access, so it could be a while before the complete version with modding tools is available for players. Does Naraka Bladepoint have bots? – Dexerto
Does Naraka Bladepoint have bots? 24 EntertainmentWondering whether Naraka Bladepoint has bots? Well, our guide has everything you need to know about whether you can expect to fight against the computer. With the news that Naraka Bladepoint has gone free to play, many battle royale fans have begun delving into the melee-based brawls. However, if you’ve recently played a few matches, you may be wondering whether the game has bots. After all, computer-controlled enemies are often used in multiplayer titles to both fill lobbies and help ease new players into in-game mechanics. So, if you’re wondering whether you’re the next Naraka Bladepoint pro or if your matches are filled with bots, then our guide has everything you need to know. Does Naraka Bladepoint have bots? Yes, Naraka Bladepoint has bots. These computer-controlled enemies often populate the lobby when there aren’t enough players to fill a match. This is especially true in the first few games, where the game uses bots to help new players get accustomed to the game. So, if you find yourself racking up a high amount of kills and often see players not putting up too much of a fight, then chances are they’re a bot. Bots will often act erratically and rarely use their character’s combos, making them extremely easy to defeat in combat. As you progress and enter higher tiers of play, the number of bots you encounter in Naraka Bladepoint should decrease. This may be frustrating for those that want to increase their skills against real-world opponents, but it can be a good way to test out new weapons and character combos without facing any major repercussions. With Naraka Bladepoint now going free to play and having crossplay functionality, the playerbase should drastically increase and the number of bots per game will inevitably decrease. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about whether Naraka Bladepoint has bots. Make sure you check out our Naraka Bladepoint page for all the latest news and guides.

Does MultiVersus have a max level cap for players and characters? Warner Bros.MultiVersus is an engaging platform brawler and has tons of amazing characters to use and progress, but what is the max level cap that they can reach? A focus on creating endless, live-service content will likely ensure that MultiVersus remains a popular fighting game with a player count that always has the potential to increase due to the game being free-to-play. We are closing in on the game’s first official season and players across different platforms will be able to duke it out to rack up some wins. Each game you play with a character(s) contributes to their overall character level, but many players are wondering if there is a max level cap in MultiVersus, and we will answer that today. Does MultiVersus have a maximum player level cap? So far, there doesn’t appear to be a max level for players to reach and the number next to your avatar has limitless potential as long as you keep playing games of MultiVersus. MultiVersus is still in its beta phase and there’s every chance that things could change once the game goes properly live. Your player level will keep going up as long as you’re playing the game and it might be a good way to flex on people if you reach high numbers! Does MultiVersus have a maximum character level cap? To the best of our knowledge, MultiVersus does not have a level cap for characters and players can seemingly level up fighters as much as they want to. Each pick on the roster has unique items and rewards that can only be obtained by using the character(s) in battle, and when you eventually reach Level 15, you will hit an unofficial hard cap on them – for now. Also, most live-service games do increase level caps from time to time with Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends being a fine example of that. Does Hades 2 run on Steam Deck? – Dexerto
Does Hades 2 run on Steam Deck? Supergiant Games/ValveHades 2 has finally landed on Steam in early access, gaining massive amounts of fanfare with its initial release. Even without a full release date announced, thousands have already jumped in to go hands-on with Supergiant’s latest. During its technical test, developers, Supergiant, stated on the Hades 2 Steam page that it could either be run on Windows or SteamOS. Making it seem Supergiant Games had always intended for Hades 2 to be Steam Deck compatible. Surprisingly, Hades 2’s early access release also coincided with the first Hades getting a Steam Deck verification. Can you play Hades 2 on Steam Deck? Hades 2 feels like it was meant to be on Steam Deck. The game runs perfectly out of the box, even at higher resolutions. Developers Supergiant Games have been quite proactive in ensuring the game is verified on Valve’s handheld. The original Hades has often been seen on most played lists since the handheld landed. Despite the game launching in early access, it’s already got the coveted green tick from Big Gabe. However, verified or not, these things can sometimes be misleading. We’ve put the game through its paces on our modified Steam Deck. It sports a DeckHD screen, meaning that Hades 2 is defaulting to 1200p, rather than the native 800p on the LCD and OLED models. Even on high settings, the game sticks to that 60FPS nearly all the time. If there are stutters or drops, we never felt them during gameplay. Best Hades 2 settings for Steam Deck There’s no real reason to tinker with the game, not that it gives you much freedom. The in-game settings are quite barren, offering the choice of preset and resolution. However, here are our best settings for the Steam Deck: Preset: High – Resolution: 1280×800 (1200 on DeckHD) – Hades 2 plays devilishly into the Steam Deck’s strengths. Not only does it work perfectly out the box, but it’s incredibly easy to put down at any time. Since getting the game at launch, we’ve played a good chunk of the 30 hours tallied on the Steam Deck. Not once have we lost progress due to putting the game in sleep mode. The only close call was the battery hitting 2% after a miserable ending to a run.

Does Hades 2 save data carry over from Early Access into the full release? – Dexerto
Does Hades 2 save data carry over from Early Access into the full release? Supergiant GamesDoes your Hades 2 save data and thus, your progression, carry over from the Early Access build of the game into the full release? Here’s what the developers at Supergiant Games have planned. Dumping hundreds of hours into Hades 2 in Early Access, only to then lose all the progress you’ve made upon the game’s full release, certainly doesn’t sound fun. Why get invested early on if your hard work is only going to be erased when the floodgates open for everyone else? That’s the conundrum facing Hades 2. Much like its original that began in Early Access in 2018 before its eventual PC release two years later. Back then, devs pledged to do everything in their power to keep save data intact across new builds. But how does the sequel fair? Will your progress remain when the full game rolls out? Here’s what you need to know. Will your Hades 2 save data carry over from Early Access? Yes, your Hades 2 save data will indeed carry over from Early Access into the full release. At least, that’s the plan. When booting up Hades 2 in Early Access, you’re able to look at the Roadmap ahead to see what’s in store for the sequel. At the very end of this message is a quick note about Save Data and the process moving forward. For players eager to jump in and commit dozens of hours to the Hades 2 grind in Early Access, rest assured the devs are “doing everything possible to ensure your Save Data works through Early Access and into [the] v1.0 launch.” While some unforeseen hiccups may interrupt these plans along the way, after all, it is Early Access, the overall goal is to ensure everyone’s Save Data carries over from day one of Early Access right the way through until the full release. So whether you simply finish the core storyline or capping out every single system, unlocking all the upgrades and optional bonuses while charming the many new characters along the way, what you do in Early Access will carry over into the full game. Currently, there’s no quite telling when v1.0 of Hades 2 may launch, though devs expect Early Access to run for at least the rest of 2024. Regardless, by playing during the Early Access window, you’re giving yourself a huge head start before the final version of the game rolls out. You can already start amassing resources, enhancing The Crossroads, and mastering boss fights, knowing full well your hard work won’t be wiped away.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink features a vast array of content for players to dive into from the single-player story mode, to quests that can be played in co-op with up to 3 friends, and a meaty endgame packed with additional challenges and raids. Before you jump in, however, you may want to know if you can create your own character in the game. So, here’s whether or not character creation is included in the RPG. Can you create your own character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink? No, Granblue Fantasy: Relink doesn’t have a character creation feature. Rather than creating your own character in the game, there are a variety of playable characters you can use. Does Gran Turismo 7 have free roam? – Dexerto
Does Gran Turismo 7 have free roam? Polyphony DigitalGames and franchises do try to move with the times and start to do what other leading competitors do too. Free roam has become a popular addition to racing games over the years, but has Gran Turismo 7 followed suit? We gave Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 a ton of praise in our review as we think it’s arguably the best, pure racing sim of all time. Between gorgeous graphics and authentic driving mechanics, Gran Turismo 7 is practically everything you could want out of a competitive racing game. Free roam in this genre has become more prevalent in the last decade, with the likes of the Need For Speed franchise popularizing it, along with Burnout Paradise. More recently, the Forza Horizon series has become a total playground for exploration, but does Gran Turismo 7 also offer these free roam liberties? Contents What is free roam? Free roam is the ability for a player to pick a car and drive around the game’s locations in their own time outside the confines of a race or event. It allows the user to explore the map, observe different areas, and seek out collectibles and Easter Eggs that the devs have inserted into the environment. Whereas direct events on chosen circuits were a staple of the early years of driving games, many franchises have now ventured into free roam territory. Is there free roam in GT7? Polyphony Digital does not provide players with the chance to free roam in Gran Turismo 7. Instead, the devs have stuck with the tried and tested formula that has made the franchise a staple of the racing genre and a mainstay name on the PlayStation. To make up for the lack of free exploration, Gran Turismo 7 has over 100 track variations for players to enjoy through Races, Championships, License Tests, Missions, and Circuit Experience events. They are all fixed to a particular track or section of it, and there is no grander open world to explore at any point. Without an internet connection, the game will only show you pawns that are already in the game. However, once more players begin to create pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the options will increase exponentially. This will also allow players to hire your Main Pawn, building up your collection of Rift Crystals so that you can hire stronger and more effective pawns to join your party. Players can help each other out by engaging in these online features, even though they’ll never be playing the game together in online co-op. Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 have multiplayer? – Dexerto
Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 have multiplayer? CapcomNow that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available, the burning question remains: does this sequel feature multiplayer functionality? Here’s everything you need to know about multiplayer in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Capcom’s original Dragon’s Dogma proved to be a success, offering an exhilarating action RPG experience. With its expansive open world, diverse array of enemies, and engaging combat mechanics reminiscent of a blend between Dark Souls and Monster Hunter, it quickly became a fan favorite. The sequel has finally hit the shelves but does it have multiplayer? Well, here’s everything you need to know about whether or not Dragon’s Dogma 2 includes multiplayer. Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 have multiplayer or co-op? No, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not have multiplayer. The sequel is a single-player game but it feels like co-op due to the Pawn system. The Pawn mechanic, which was pioneered in the original Dragon’s Dogma, allows players to fully customize a second AI-controlled character, who would journey alongside them and assist during combat. Two more Support Pawns can also be added to create a 4 person party. The additional Support Pawns can be borrowed from other players who have created their main Pawns and allowed them to be shared online, so in this sense, there will be an online community aspect to the game, but multiplayer itself isn’t a function that is included. There is potentially a small chance that multiplayer could be added in the form of a DLC mode, but as the Pawn system was clearly designed with single-player gameplay in mind — it’s rather unlikely to happen. However, we’ll be sure to update this page if any news of multiplayer or co-op coming to the sequel is revealed. Does Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero have local co-op? – Dexerto
Does Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero have local co-op? Bandai NamcoDoes Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero have a local co-op feature planned? Here’s what we know about the possible inclusion. The beloved Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi fighting franchise is finally coming back, with fans eagerly anticipating the release of Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero in the near future. In the lead-up to the game’s release, gameplay trailers, character details, and more have all been trickling through. Previously released footage showcasing the updated graphics, combat mechanics, and more. One aspect of the Budokai Tenkaichi games that made it such a hit during the 2000s and 2010s was the local multiplayer focus to the game. Allowing friends to all sit down on the couch together and battle it out against each other using the likes of Goku and Vegeta. Despite this, rumors have been circulating online for months now that Sparkling Zero will launch without local co-op, some even calling this a “deal-breaker” given the feature’s history throughout the franchise. In light of this, here is everything we know about local multiplayer for Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero, including whether or not it will be a feature in the game. Does Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero have local co-op? Yes, Dragon Ball Zero will feature local co-op in a dedicated split-screen mode. This had been rumored for a while after an unintended leak on the PlayStation Store mentioned the mode briefly. Eagle-eyed fans noticed on the PS store listing for Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero that it states 1-2 players can play locally, this potential confirmation was met with overwhelming joy by players. After all, other franchises that have previously included local co-op, such as Halo, have moved away from the feature in recent installments, a decision that has been met with major backlash from the video game community. Fortunately for prospective Dragon Ball Sparking Zero fans, developers gave official confirmation of local co-op in the game at Summer Games Fest 2024. The Game Mode Showcase revealed a number of ways to play with a split-screen option for Sparking Zero included in the list. Perhaps less fortunate, there is a major caveat when it comes to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s local co-op. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero local co-op limitations Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will only allow split-screen play on a single map. Devs revealed that the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is the only way you’ll be able to battle your friends and family on the couch. Producer Jun Furutani revealed the decision-making process to GamesRadar+ in an interview. He cited the sheer quantity of effects and environmental destruction as the reason Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s local co-op was limited in this fashion. “The game was really developed as a solo experience on one screen because it was so important for us to be able to maximize and optimize the experience of a Dragon Ball fight and all that comes with it, Furutani said. “For example, all the real-time interactions and animation that you can see in the game will make this Dragon Ball experience the best.” “There were definitely challenges to go with the split screen feature. But still, we wanted the player to enjoy the game in many situations, and playing on his couch with a friend is one of the situations, so we made sure to add this feature in the game.” While the single-map limitation is a bit of a bummer, at least we finally have confirmation of local co-op in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. If you want to prepare for all the potential battles you’re going to have, why not check out the massive roster of playable characters?

Does Deadlock have anti-cheat? – Dexerto
Does Deadlock have anti-cheat? ValveValve’s upcoming hero shooter Deadlock is already being impacted by in-game cheaters. So what systems do the devs have in place to combat this? Deadlock is a 6v6 hero shooter with a MOBA twist. It includes a massive roster of playable characters, such as robots, wizards, and other creatures. It has already drawn major comparisons to Overwatch 2 and Team Fortress. While Deadlock is only in very early access, reports of cheating have already begun cropping up online and future players are concerned that the game will be riddled with hacking similar to Valve’s other titles. Here is everything we know so far about Deadlock’s anti-cheat systems and any future plans the devs have laid out regarding mitigating any hacking issues. Is there anti-cheat software for Deadlock? At the time of writing, Deadlock does not have any major anti-cheat measures in place. However, given that the game is still very much at the beginning of its lifespan, there is no doubt Valve will implement more measures in the future. Valve promised that they are working on “larger anti-cheat systems” and it is expected that Deadlock will use Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC), a system that the devs have implemented in many other titles. Hopefully, this will go some way towards assuaging the current fears of rampant hacking. One of Deadlock’s devs on the game’s official Discord server confirmed that the team is currently working on an anti-cheat. However, did not divulge much information other than confirming it. As part of the game’s anti-cheat measures, the devs added an in-game reporting system to keep toxic players away in the September 12 update. Players can now lose access to matchmaking, voice chat, text chat, and even reporting as penalizations for toxicity. They can also be put in a low-priority queue as punishment if they have been reported too much. In addition, if you regularly misreport you could also face the same punishments. On the official Steam listing for the game, access is “currently limited to friend invites” by existing playtesters. This decision aims to minimize hacking and cheating because, after all, who wants to be called out for cheating by their friends? In fact, if your friend was caught cheating, and you’ve played regularly with them, it too could result in a ban on your account. Does Dead Space have a New Game Plus? – Dexerto
Does Dead Space have a New Game Plus? Electronic ArtsDead Space fans are wondering if they will be able to start the game again with all their weapons and upgrades once their first walkthrough is complete. Here’s all we know about Dead Space’s New Game Plus mode. The original Dead Space let players keep all their guns and upgrades after the credits rolled. Players could then save a new file called ‘Game Cleared’ which was essentially the Dead Space New Game Plus mode. The game‘s sequels also did something similar, allowing players to transfer their upgrades and unlockable items over to a new game once they had beaten the main story. In 2023, games like Callisto Protocol (itself a Dead Space spiritual successor), were released without a New Game Plus mode. While this has since been resolved, with that game adding the mode in a recent patch, some fans may worry that the Dead Space remake may not launch with a New Game Plus mode. Here’s what we know. Does the Dead Space remake have NG+? The Dead Space remake does indeed feature New Game Plus mode once players beat the game – just like the original did. After the credits roll, players will be invited to save their game, either overwriting their previous save or creating a new one. Should they load this file, the game will restart, but this time players will have access to all their guns, RIGs, and upgrades. This will save them the trouble of needing to unlock/upgrade everything a second time. It will also give players the chance to upgrade any guns they may have neglected during their first run. Not only that, but now that players will have an upgraded RIG and more powerful guns, they can upgrade the difficulty to make the game more of a challenge. It’s worth pointing out that players will still need to upgrade their security clearance level again, as this is connected to the game’s story and does not carry over to NG+ in the Dead Space remake. Does Dead Island 2 have co-op multiplayer? – Dexerto
Does Dead Island 2 have co-op multiplayer? Dambuster StudiosDead Island 2 introduces players to an array of Slayers right from the start. But is the zombie-slaying journey a solo endeavor, or has Dambuster Studios infused the gore-filled first-person adventure with cooperative or multiplayer capabilities? Collaborating with others adds a layer of enjoyment to many activities, and navigating through the zombie apocalypse in Hell-A, a chaotic version of Los Angeles, with a partner elevates the experience of ensuring the undead remain dead. We’ve seen in the past games that seemed ideal for cooperative play or even just multiplayer in general, but ultimately never receive it. Dead Island 2 is very much that type of game, so let’s run through if it supports play between friends and how it may work. Is Dead Island 2 co-op multiplayer? Yes, Dead Island 2 has co-op play. Dambuster Studios have served up a multiplayer treat for players to enjoy together. Meaning, you can either join up with your friends to bash some skulls together, or you can even just hop into random matchmaking and perhaps discover new allies. The original Dead Island was known for its cooperative play, and it’s good to see that the follow-up has also added multi-person support. Does Dead Island 2 have competitive multiplayer? On the other hand, Dead Island 2 does not feature competitive PvP multiplayer. For the time being at least, the game focuses on cohesion rather than internal conflict. There’s always a chance that a PvP may get added down the line, in the meantime, you’ll be able to enjoy regular co-op. How to play co-op in Dead Island 2 There are two ways for you to be able to get yourself into a mini-squad: Use the Join Game feature on the main menu for random matchmaking, or check your friend’s list, also on the main menu, and invite each other into your respective game. There are six Slayers in total for you to pick from, and the devs generously give players three extra slots per game for additional players. Meaning you can conceivably march into a massacre with four players all kitted out and ready for war! Does Dead Island 2 have crossplay? – Dexerto
Does Dead Island 2 have crossplay? Dambuster StudiosDead Island 2 welcomes players into its cooperative gameplay, already sparking debates about its support for cross-platform play and progression. Here’s what we know. As a first-person zombie adventure brought to life by Dambuster Studio, the game is under scrutiny for whether it allows players to join forces across different platforms. With crossplay becoming a staple in online multiplayer experiences, such as Call of Duty, players are eager to see if Dead Island 2 adopts this feature for a unified gaming experience. Another topic of discussion in gaming is the subject of cross-progression. Dead Island 2 is a meaty affair, in more ways than one, and there is a lot of ground to cover. If you’re curious, our handy guide will answer two questions for you today: does Dead Island 2 have crossplay, and does it have cross-progression? Does Dead Island 2 have crossplay? According to the official Technical FAQ on the game’s website, “Dead Island 2 will not support crossplay,” and there’s no mention of it being a feature the devs are looking to introduce at any point. Given that Dead Island 2 supports multi-person co-op, this news will likely be a sore point for players on different platforms looking to team up with one another. Until we hear anything different, if you’re looking to beat on the undead scourge of LA with a partner or two, it will have to be on the same platform. Does Dead Island 2 have cross-platform progression? Dambuster Studios have made absolutely no mention of Dead Island 2 supporting cross-progression, so while it’s not completely set in stone, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to transfer your progress to another console or PC. Many users enjoy the freedom and flexibility of experiencing the same title on Xbox and PC for instance, making cross-progression a useful feature. Does Chained Together have local co-op? – Dexerto
Does Chained Together have local co-op? Anegar GamesChained Together is a brand new co-op 3D platformer, but does it include local play? Continue reading for all the details. Chained Together launched on Steam on June 19, 2024, the brand new co-op 3D platformer already making waves among the gaming community and the streaming space. The premise of Chained Together is simple. Players begin in the depths of hell and must climb to the surface as quickly as possible. However, the game comes with a massive twist in that all players are chained closely together, meaning communication and teamwork are vital to the success of each run. No matter how good an individual player might be, a lagging teammate can completely ruin a play-through, and a mistimed or miscalculated jump is just as unforgiving. While the game can be played solo, Indie devs Anegar Games created the title with an emphasis on cooperation and teamwork. Chained Together is available to play online with others, yet many of you may be wondering if the game also supports local co-op. Can you play local co-op in Chained Together? Yes, Chained Together can be played locally, with local co-op supporting up to four people at one time. This means, so long as you have multiple input devices at the ready, you can indeed play with multiple characters from one screen. A full party of four could technically sit side by side and play on the one device. If you aren’t able to enlist a full party of four to take on Chained Together, fear not, as the game adapts to fit and reflect the number of players in each lobby. In a world where many video game franchises have long included local co-op, such as Halo, inclusion in Chained Together is a welcome one.

Once we have a big enough data set of regular gameplay vs cheating we will be able to auto-detect offenders much easier and hopefully prevent some cheats altogether.” Urging players to report any cheaters they see via the request section on the website, efforts have already proven fruitful. On September 27 the devs confirmed that “we just pushed out 2 fixes to improve our anti-cheat. The first one removes the heal hack, and the second one is related to another common hack.” As the ban katana grows ever sharper, hopefully we’ll see less cheater in our games. After all, the streets of Prague are already pretty dangerous as they are! Does Bloodhunt have spyware? In short, no. Bloodhunt does not have spyware. The original issue with the anti-cheat software was attributed to two specific bugs, which have now largely been dealt with. With users concerned that this was some sort of spyware, the devs quickly issued a statement. Read More: When is Bloodhunt coming to console? – A post from 8 September notes “we have identified two bugs with our anti-cheat software. No, as of writing Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t feature crossplay. However, the devs have officially confirmed it will come to the game in the future. In an April 2024 community update posted on Steam, Larian confirmed that it’s “actively working on bringing Crossplay and a Photo Mode to Baldur’s Gate 3, but the work required to bring these to you means that these additions will likely be further down the road.” With Patch 7 likely still a few months away, we probably won’t see crossplay come to the game until late this year. Before that, Larian’s Head of Publishing Michael Douse has said Larian had planned on adding crossplay since the early development of Baldur’s Gate 3. “It’s in the roadmap, and though we have an idea of when we’d like to get it ready, we don’t want to put a date on it until we’re sure,” he said. It’s worth noting that if you are on PC and playing either on Windows or on Mac, it seems like you will be able to play with each other irrespective of whether you are using GoG or Steam. Does Baldur’s Gate 3 have cross-platform progression? Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 features cross-platform progression. This means you will have a cross-save across PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have crossplay and cross-progression? UbisoftYou may be wondering if Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has crossplay and cross-progression. You’ve come to the right place. Here’s everything you need to know. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora gives every fan the chance to go out into the world of Pandora and explore it for their own. This is the first time that the world has been rendered this completely. While the story of the game takes place on another continent from the films, the environment is still very much the same. It’s a big area to explore, and thanks to the in-game co-op, you can bring a friend along with you. The game has supposedly been built from the ground up to support co-op, letting you both interact with the beautiful flora and fauna, or perhaps tear apart the invading RDA forces. However, this begs the question, if the game has co-op, do you need to be playing on the same system as your friend, and can you move your own progress from device to device. Worry not, here’s everything you need to know about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s crossplay and cross-progression. Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have crossplay? This will likely be facilitated through a Ubisoft Connect account so make sure you have one ready to go. Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have cross-progression? Does Atomic Heart have multiplayer or co-op? – Dexerto
Does Atomic Heart have multiplayer or co-op? MundfishAtomic Heart is an ambitious FPS that transports players into a twisted alternate reality, but players might be wondering if they can slay hordes of psychotic robots with a friend. Here’s everything we know about multiplayer and co-op in Atomic Heart. After a lengthy development cycle, Atomic Heart is finally set to arrive on February 21, 2023. The unique shooter sends us back in time to an alternate version of the 1955 Soviet Union. Players will be greeted by thousands of killer robots to tear through with plenty of bizarre weapons and abilities. But can you experience the carnage of Atomic Heart with a friend? We’ve got everything you need to know Atomic Heart multiplayer and co-op. Is there multiplayer in Atomic Heart? Sadly, there are no multiplayer or co-op features in Atomic Heart. Mundfish’s game will remain a single-player-only title for the foreseeable future, with the developers focused on delivering an engaging solo experience. This may come as a disappointment to many players, as a multiplayer mode had been planned when Atomic Heart was first in production. However, Mundfish founder and Game Director Robert Bagratuni explained in a Q&A with Wccftech that online features were cut during the game’s long development. “During the development process, we made the tough choice to abandon some ideas, even very big ones, like multiplayer. It was painful to have to make those kinds of choices, but it was the right decision,” Bagratuni explained. “You don’t have to chase trends when you create something new and innovative.” It doesn’t even appear that multiplayer co-op will arrive down the line, as Atomic Heart is now being billed as a purely single-player title. “The entire Atomic Heart experience will be single-player, focusing on the story and player experience,” Bagratuni confirmed. “No multiplayer add-ons are planned at this time.” Although it seems that multiplayer isn’t on the cards in Atomic Heart, players will be hoping that online features from the developer’s original vision will arrive one day. Perhaps if the game finds a big enough audience, the idea of co-op or multiplayer will be revisited. Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora contain Microtransactions? – Dexerto
Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora contain Microtransactions? UbisoftDoes the world of Avatar: Frontiers Pandora include Microtransactions? We’re here to determine if Ubisoft’s game does and if so, what are they used for. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora contains a multitude of weapons, gear, and cosmetics to create your Avatar in your own image, but when and how you can get certain items in the game is still in question, so just buying them outright may sound like a reasonable compromise. Microtransactions are a controversial topic, to say the least, so whether or not a game includes them, can garner the wrong kind of attention. So how impactful are Microtransactions, and how would they affect a game such as Avatar Frontiers of Pandora? Does Avatar Frontiers of Pandora contain Microtransactions? The long and short of it is: Yes, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora does contain microtransactions. Microtransactions are used for an in-game currency called ‘Tokens,’ which can be used to purchase cosmetics and gain access to resources and gear early in the game. You can use these Tokens to buy cosmetic packs for you and your lovably loyal Ikran and patterns to customize your outfit and weaponry. There’s plenty to wear and customize to make your Avatar look how you want it to, so it may be worth it if you want to show off to your friends in co-op. Also in the Microtransaction menu are Cosmetic Sets for a variety of weapons, including skins, decals, and keychains that hang from your weaponry. These “Equipment Packs” are the meat and potatoes of the microtransactions here. In these packs, you can unlock essential gear earlier in the game than if you sought them out naturally. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is a big game requiring time commitment to get the best out of it, so it may be worth considering. Buying something that can give you a headstart may sound like a good idea, but you will be able to acquire these items during the game, granted it will be significantly later. Some of these packs are contained within specific editions of the game, so it can also be a factor in deciding which version of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora you buy. Most of what is included in these packs can be unlocked within the game itself later, but exactly which items, when, and how is yet to be determined. So they aren’t mandatory or even necessarily essential to make the game more enjoyable or more accessible, as you can change the difficulty at any time in the settings menu. That’s all the info on microtransactions in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. While considering these microtransactions for yourself, take a look at some of our other Avatar Frontiers of Pandora guides and content: Can you romance characters? | How to holster weapon | How to restore energy & health | How to fast travel | Can you pet your Ikran? | Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora system requirements | Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have crossplay and cross-progression? | Does Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have multiplayer or co-op? | Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora canon? | Can you play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? | Will Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora be on PS4 and Xbox One?

Does Atomic Heart have microtransactions? – Dexerto
Does Atomic Heart have microtransactions? MundfishAtomic Heart is a unique first-person shooter set in an alternate timeline with powerful weapons and cool abilities, but will the title incorporate the use or practice of microtransactions at any point? Mundfish have taken the plunge into the well of creativity and airlifted a fascinating-looking FPS in which Russia have developed breakthrough technology called Polymer, and in Atomic Heart, this substance can produce some incredible results. A dual-wielding combination of firearms and almost magical powers immediately draws comparisons to other successful franchises such as Bioshock and Dishonored. Its curious premise and promising gameplay aside, many potential consumers have been wondering if Atomic Heart will feature any kind of microtransactions, and we’ll answer that for you today. Will Atomic Heart have microtransactions? In what is sure to be music to the ears of many, Mundfish’s Atomic Heart will have no kind of microtransactions to speak of, and in the words of the devs themselves, there will be: “no additional bells or whistles, period.” Will Atomic Heart have DLC? However, if Atomic Heart does indeed capture your heart, then you might be pleased to know that the devs will be extending the game with DLC at a later date. Here’s a full statement that the devs told GameReactor: “Atomic Heart is a full-price, AAA single-player adventure with no additional bells and whistles, period. And of course, we are looking at how the industry is evolving, and there are some interesting trends that can be explored in the future. We’ll share DLC plans later, and we don’t have any thoughts on NFT at this moment.“ Atomic Heart is set to be a fairly lengthy adventure with a vast open world to explore, so this means there’s probably plenty of room left for the story to be expanded upon in the future. Once we do find out more information about Atomic Heart and its proposed DLC then we’ll be sure to update you. If you’re looking for more information on the game and want to more about this awe-inspiring world, then check out whether or not it will be available on Xbox Game Pass, as well as if it has any form of multiplayer.

Does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer? – Dexerto
Does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer? FromSoftware/Bandai NamcoFromSoftware’s latest title, Armored Core 6, has arrived and fans can dive into a lot of exciting missions but many are wondering if multiplayer is also included. Here’s everything we know about multiplayer and co-op in the mech title. It’s not just returning fans who are diving into Armored Core 6, which is FromSoftware’s long-awaited return to the battle-mech standard bearer. After the unexpectedly wide-reaching success of Elden Ring, a whole new audience is suiting up in Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon. There’s a lot of content in the game for fans to dive into and an exciting mission-based structure that includes various endings, however for those looking to enjoy Armored Core 6 alongside their friends the inclusion of multiplayer is a big question. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about multiplayer in the latest FromSoftware release. Contents: Does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer? The short answer to this question is yes. The Armored Core games have had multiplayer functionality since the very first iteration of the Franchise and Armored Core 6 will be no different. It’s an intrinsic part of the series’ identity and the focus on customization of your mecha or AC has always lent itself to multiplayer gaming. In an interview with IGN, Creative Director and Game Designer for FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed beyond doubt that Armored Core 6 will have multiplayer. “We do plan to have a versus mode, similar to previous Armored Core titles,” Miyazaki told IGN. What is Armored Core 6’s versus mode? Mecha PVP explained Versus mode has been a staple of the Armored Core franchise since the first title in the series. While little concrete info exists on the new iteration, Miyazaki has said that the core focus of Armored Core has always been customization and that’s true of the latest game’s multiplayer. Designer Masaru Yamamura explained further. “You’ll be able to customize your mech and take that fully customized mech into battle with others,” Yamamura revealed. “We wanted to take the assembly aspect, assembling and customizing your own mech — your AC — and then being able to exact a high level of control over the assembled mech.” Up to 3 spectators can also watch players face off in PVP mode. Does Armored Core 6 have co-op? All available information suggests that Armored Core 6 will not feature co-op play in the game’s story. Masaru Yamamura confirmed this in the IGN interview quoted previously. “The main focus in AC6 – on the story mode at least – is having that story develop and play out,” Yamamura relayed. “We’ve concentrated on single-player for the story mode.” That’s everything we know about Armored Core 6’s multiplayer offerings. Does Atomic Heart have a 6-hour cutscene? Rumor explained – Dexerto
Does Atomic Heart have a 6-hour cutscene? Rumor explained MundfishThe Atomic Heart 6-hour cutscene rumor has left potential buyers confused and curious, so let’s give you a definitive answer as to whether or not such a thing exists in Mundish’s Atomic Heart. Atomic Heart is out in the wild and aside from the ongoing controversy about whether or not Russia is involved in the development or production of the title, the game has received a pretty good response. We gave the game a lot of plaudits in our complete Atomic Heart review, but outside of its launch hype, the game has been surrounded by constant rumors of a 6-hour cutscene – featuring some very adult content. Given that we have played the game in its entirety, let’s run you through and answer any questions pertaining to Atomic Heart’s 6-hour cutscene drama. Atomic Heart 6-hour cutscene drama explained We can categorically tell you that there is no six-hour cut scene in Atomic Heart, and to be honest, there’s nothing even close to one. Early on in the game, P-3 is quite aggressively handled by a defective, talking upgrade machine that quickly becomes enamored by the Major. There’s a lot of explicit language that goes beyond risque, to say the least, but there’s nothing really to see, and it’s much ado about nothing. A ton of speculation arose when IGN posted an article claiming that the devs has told them that the game would feature a six-hour cutscene containing sex scenes between the protagonist and the infamous robot ballerinas. In case you’ve missed it, one of Atomic Heart’s trailers showed off a pair of robot ballerinas that made the internet explode. They drew the kind of reaction that Lady Dimitrescu did when she was revealed for Resident Evil Village. However, shortly after, IGN seemingly pulled all mention of the cutscene and haven’t said anything on the matter since. You can see evidence of IGN’s initial article in YouTuber LapisGoBlue’s video on the topic. On the other hand, Mundfish have since made a light comment on the subject matter when asked: “So, how many hours of sex scenes will it contain now?” The developer simply replied: “Find it out by yourself.” The reply only added fuel to the fire, but as we’ve explained, there isn’t really anything like that, and the general consensus is that the 6-hour cutscene was probably a joke that suddenly escalated. On the plus side, it got plenty of extra eyes on Atomic Heart and also had social media talking, which is always good, free marketing. We have a ton of other guides and content for Atomic Heart which you should find interesting and could also help you out big time in your own experience with the game: How to use Atomic Heart scanner | Best guns & melee weapons to use in Atomic Heart | Best skills to upgrade in Atomic Heart | How to access Polygon Testing Ground chambers in Atomic Heart | Does Atomic Heart have microtransactions? | How long is Atomic Heart? | Is Atomic Heart open-world? | Is Atomic Heart on Xbox Game Pass? | Does Atomic Heart have multiplayer or co-op? | Atomic Heart PC Requirements: Minimum & recommended specs

Does Armored Core 6 have difficulty settings? – Dexerto
Does Armored Core 6 have difficulty settings? FromSoftware/Bandai NamcoArmored Core 6 is now out and it literally lets you become an ass-kicking machine but are there difficulty settings that you’re able to adjust? Here’s everything we know about whether or not you can select your difficulty in the game. FromSoftware games can be tough, there’s no getting around it. We like to imagine the developers holed up in a dark tower cackling madly as they devise new ways for Armored Core 6 to punish us. Veterans of the franchise should have no problem hitting the ground running but newcomers might be wondering where the mech game sits on the FromSoftware difficulty scale. Those of us who played titles like Elden Ring or other Soulsborne titles have hopefully developed the brand of resilience that games from the developer require. Still, the difference between Armored Core 6 and more recent FromSoftware titles might tempt players to wonder if the game can be made any easier while you get acquainted. So, are there difficulty settings in Armored Core 6? Can you change the difficulty in Armored Core 6? Armored Core 6 does not have dedicated difficulty settings like an easy, medium, or hard mode. This probably won’t surprise fans of FromSoftware’s previous titles. Still, more so than other FromSoftware franchises, Armored Core 6 does not lock you into a playstyle with limited respecs and upgrade materials. The game’s producer Yasunori Ogura has said the game’s unparalleled customization “is the key to overcoming difficulties within the game”. To that end, Armored Core 6 not only allows healing within missions but also the ability to enter the garage upon death, This means that you can alter your Armored Core to adapt to the enemies and situations in a given mission. In this way, you can somewhat alter how difficult it is to approach certain missions or bosses by adjusting your build on the fly. You can also expand your arsenal and effectiveness by exploring to locate hidden parts. It should be noted that Armored Core 6’s leg types drastically alter the way you move and play. Changing these to suit particular in-game moments will certainly help curb the built-in difficulty of Armored Core 6. Another method to boost your power and reduce situational difficulty in the game is through OST chips. Does Armored Core 6 have crossplay? – Dexerto
Does Armored Core 6 have crossplay? FromSoftwareArmored Core 6 is out now, and the inclusion of multiplayer has been a hot topic for many, but does that include crossplay functionality? Here’s what we know about the multiplayer in the mech title. Crossplay is one of the most common features in modern-day games. This feature allows players to join in with their friends irrespective of the platform, thereby bringing the communities together. However, the question arises of whether Armored Core 6 has the feature or not. The game has a lot of potential and crossplay would simply enhance it to a whole new level. Here is a guide on crossplay availability for Armored Core 6. Will Armored Core 6 have crossplay? Armored Core 6 does not currently have crossplay features. While the game does have a pretty deep multiplayer, there is no news of an official crossplay setting. If it does become available, we will update this section with more information. However, for now, you will have to accept the game without this feature. As it happens, even the last FromSoftware game, Elden Ring, which won Game of the Year in 2022, did not have crossplay either. FromSoftware does not like pitching players from different platforms into one place. This definitely reduces server load and makes the games much smoother, especially the multiplayer experience. Armored Core 6 is out now on all major platforms, including both previous-generation as well as current-generation consoles. Therefore, the player base on each should be quite respectable. This concludes our guide for crossplay for Armored Core 6. If you found it informative, then please look into some of our other Armored Core guides at Dexerto. Do trees grow back in Sons of the Forest? – Dexerto
Do trees grow back in Sons of the Forest? Endnight GamesDo trees grow back in Sons of the Forest? If you’re worried about your surroundings starting to look flat, here’s what you should know. Naturally, the first thing you’d want to do when you’re thrown into some unknown Cannibal-infested island is to seek shelter. In Sons of the Forest, this requires you to chop down nearby trees to gather all the logs needed to build one. However, after going on a chopping spree for a while, you may notice that your surroundings may start to look barren. And without proper transportation, gathering logs from somewhere far away just makes the game even more challenging than it already is. This raises the inevitable question: do trees grow back in Sons of the Forest? Here’s everything you need to know about it. Do trees regrow in Sons of the Forest? All the nightmare-inducing creatures aside, having a base covered with lush trees in Sons of the Forest helps give a more lively impression to your surroundings. If you’ve already built a lovely house, then it’s likely you may want to keep it looking nice and cozy. But logs are needed to craft many things, like firewood, shelter, doors, and so on. Assuming you’ve been collecting them for survival, it’s possible for your surroundings to quickly look quite flat or “unnatural” after a while. Fortunately, trees do grow back in Sons of the Forest, though not in the same exact place. Trees leave stumps on the ground after being chopped. However, instead of spawning on the same stump, they’ll grow around new saplings that appear in your game. You can clear the stumps to let more saplings appear; just be patient, as trees can take some time to grow. In the meantime, you’ll want to keep an eye out for a Rope Gun and Shovel to increase your chances of survival.

D&D vs. Pathfinder: Which fantasy TTRPG is right for you? – Dexerto
D&D vs. Pathfinder: Which fantasy TTRPG is right for you? Paizo / Wizards of the CoastWhen it comes to fantasy TTRPGs, Dungeons & Dragons remains on top, though it has strong competition from Pathfinder. Here’s how the two game systems compare and how to determine which one is a better fit for you and your play group. As Dungeons & Dragons has exploded in popularity, it’s also inspired a host of alternatives in the TTRPG world. The most famous of these competitors is Pathfinder. Created by Paizo, Pathfinder was first released in 2009 amid frustrations with D&D Fourth Edition and Wizards of the Coast. Since then, both games have received new editions, with D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e being generally well-received by veteran players and newcomers alike. Whether you’re looking to get started with fantasy TTRPGs or considering switching between the two games, here is what you need to know about how D&D and Pathfinder differ and which one better suits your gaming needs. Pathfinder has deeper mechanics & more customization Those who played Dungeons & Dragons back in the 3.5e days will likely find Pathfinder pretty familiar. Pathfinder was built from that system, affectionately being nicknamed “D&D version 3.75” early on. The biggest difference between D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e is that the former emphasizes approachability, while the latter is all about customization and depth. Take, for example, character creation. In Pathfinder, every choice you make – such as your ancestry, background, and class – is important and affects your build. This means it’ll probably take you longer to create a Pathfinder character, but you have far more options that are arguably way more impactful. Feats are a perfect example of how Pathfinder’s options differ from those of D&D. In D&D 5e, feats are optional, and players are able to select one upon reaching certain levels. However, in Pathfinder, feats are a major facet of character creation and growth. In 2e, you get a feat every level, though there are different types available, you’ll have different options depending on the level, and most come with at least one prerequiste such as ancestry, class, alignment. Having so many options available can be a plus or minus depending on your playstyle and preferences. While it does allow for a lot of customization and unique builds, it also means both players and Game Masters have their work cut out for them. All in all, Pathfinder is great for dedicated players who care about the details and want every aspect of their character to be reflected in their build. Dungeon & Dragons is simpler & perfect for TTRPG newcomers In comparion, Dungeons & Dragons is far more streamlined, particularly in its current form. Fifth Edition is designed to be incredibly approachable for newcomers, contributing to the game’s recent growth. This year’s promised rules revision is set to make some big changes, albeit those that are compatible with existing 5e materials. While there are fewer character options – for example, D&D 5e has 13 classes between the base game and official expansions compared to Pathfinder 2e’s 23 classes – there is still quite a bit of customization available. Plus, because of the popularity of the game, there are plenty of third party and fan-made resources available to fill in the gaps. In terms of gameplay, D&D is far less rules intensive. It’s really up to the Dungeon Master to decide how closely their table will stick to the rules as written and how much to bend things to promote “rule of cool” and enhance the storytelling. This doesn’t mean D&D’s rules don’t matter at all or that Pathfinder is too rigid for creativity, but rather it speaks to what these systems emphasize and what players expect from each. Should you play Dungeons & Dragons 5e or Pathfinder 2e? At the end of the day, Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder are pretty similar, and if you have fun with one, you’ll probably also enjoy the other. Both are d20 systems that allow players that encourage Where they diverge are in the overall complexity of the game systems and their specific mechanics. If you and your party enjoy a mechanics-heavy approach with a lot of build options that reflect character growth, you’ll probably have a better time with Pathfinder, as its rules promote a more stategic and tactics-focused experience. Conversely, if your group prefers a storytelling and roleplaying-focused game, D&D is likely the better choice due to its streamlined mechanics. Keep in mind that, as with other TTRPGs, a lot of the experience comes down to the specific play group and the Game Master’s discretion, allowing for additional flexibility and house rules regardless of the system. Plus, you can always swap to another system if you find your current one doesn’t suit the group’s needs. If you click on a product link on this page, we may earn a small affiliate commission.

D&D players slam Ranger class changes compared to Monk & Sorcerer buffs – Dexerto
D&D players slam Ranger class changes compared to Monk & Sorcerer buffs Wizards of the CoastDungeons & Dragons players are largely underwhelmed by changes to the Ranger class announced for the upcoming Core Rulebook revision, especially as other classes receive more significant improvements. On June 28, 2024, Wizards of the Coast released a video going over changes to the Ranger class that will release as part of the new Player’s Handbook later this year. At the time, players were critical of the changes. But that frustration has only worsened following deep dives on the new Monk and Sorcerer classes that have some wondering if D&D‘s designers are purposely sabotaging the Ranger. The Ranger has long been among the game’s least popular classes, but despite the designers completely overhauling it to the point where lead rules designer Jeremy Crawford calls it “a brand new class,” players aren’t impressed. In a Reddit post titled “Is there a rule a WoTC that Rangers must always be at a disadvantage to other classes?” one player shared their disappointment with the new Ranger. The main criticisms of the Ranger involve changes to the spell Hunter’s Mark and the lack of powerful late-game options compared to other classes. While the designers have said the new rulebook “strengthens the Ranger class’s relationship with its trademark spell, Hunter’s Mark,” the fact that it now requires concentration has proven controversial. Many Ranger spells also depend on the concentration mechanic, so the change means players will have to choose between using this core class feature and casting other spells. Players have also slammed the class’ level 20 ability, which pretty much amounts to a +2 to damage. That’s led to plenty of comments mocking the change, with one YouTube comment reading “Capstone for Ranger: +2 damage, meanwhile wizards are a fireball machine gun…” The changes to Ranger seem especially lackluster to many players considering changes to other classes like the Monk (which also received a complete overhaul) and Sorcerer – both of which are getting expanded access to their key class resources and abilities. As they put it, “Oh not enough Ki points. No big deal we keep giving you more. Sorcerer points got you down. Don’t worry we will let you do a ton of stuff that use to cost points for free.” Though the new Ranger class has been called lackluster, other changes in the Player’s Handbook (2024) have been more warmly received, including adjustments to spells and other mechanics that are directly inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3.

Dungeons & Dragons players reach verdict on if it’s okay for a DM to “cheat” – Dexerto
Dungeons & Dragons players reach verdict on if it’s okay for a DM to “cheat” Wizards of the CoastIn response to a DM’s question, the Dungeons & Dragons subreddit has largely agreed on what constitutes cheating and whether it’s okay. In Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs like it, the role of the Dungeon Master is crucial. It’s up to the DM to prepare for and run the session, which includes planning encounters, roleplaying NPCs, adjusting to their players’ behavior, and more. The number of moving pieces DMs have to keep track of makes it a challenging but rewarding way to experience the game. Luckily, there are plenty of online spaces where newcomers can get advice and discuss ideas with more experienced DMs. Now, it seems the community has generally agreed on the topic of “cheating” as a DM, and their reasons for it are incredibly helpful for anyone trying to improve their skills. D&D players discuss if & when it’s okay for a DM to cheat The discussion started with a question from Reddit user Imaginary-Wasabi-370, who asked, “Is it bad as a DM to cheat a bit ?” They explained how, during a recent session, they noticed the party was having a “pretty fair fight” against what was supposed to be a difficult boss. To address this, the DM chose to increase the creature’s HP and damage output, making for a “a close call” that the party said was “fun for them.” However, the feeling that they may have cheated led them to seek insight from others in the D&D community. Overall, the consensus is that this DM didn’t really cheat, and even if you were to count their decision as cheating, it would still be acceptable. As one commenter explained, “Cheating? Yes, it’s bad. Adjusting the difficulty of an encounter on the fly because you overestimated or underestimated the difficulty of that encounter is not cheating as far as I’m concerned.” Another concurred, saying, “Encounter design doesn’t stop after you roll initiative,” a quote attributed to writer and D&D YouTuber Matt Colville. Others, still agreeing that what the player did was fine, even encouraged, provided additional insight on how to handle on-the-fly changes and where to draw the line. “No judgement here, just advice: never cheat any numbers the players see,” suggested one player. “If you change things the players know to be true you will lose player trust, immersion, and buy-in.” As an example, Armor Class shouldn’t change mid-battle outside of certain circumstances, such as a preplanned multiphase fight or an action players see (like a monster picking up a shield). At the end of the day, D&D is meant to be fun. To deliver that experience, it’s important to know what your players want from the game. While some rules-focused groups may see something like this as cheating, for the majority of tables, making these kinds of changes mid-game keeps things enjoyable.

D&D players share helpful advice for dealing with cheating player – Dexerto
D&D players share helpful advice for dealing with cheating player Wizards of the CoastAfter noticing a player blatantly lying about dice rolls while playing Dungeons & Dragons over Discord, a player sought advice from others on how to deal with the situation. Dungeons & Dragons is bigger and more accessible than ever thanks to online communication platforms like Discord and Zoom, not to mention digital tools for gameplay like Roll20 and D&D Beyond. However, while online campaigns allow groups who otherwise wouldn’t be able to meet in person the chance to explore fantasy worlds, it also opens up ways for some players to cheat. One player who noticed someone else at their table clearly lying about dice rolls sought advice on Reddit, and the community had some good advice any player or DM could apply. D&D players have suggestions for preventing cheating in online campaigns Reddit user Short-Impression7737 explained their situation in a post on the DnD subreddit. In a campaign with their friends, who meet over Discord and live far away from each other, the poster noticed one player whose dice rolls were suspicious. “They kept getting nat 20 after nat 20 and if it wasn’t that, it’s a dirty 20 or maybe 19,” they shared. “The only time they roll low is when it be if it’s them (for example, we had to figure out who would meet a specific king first and it was ‘lowest roll goes first; and they got a nat 1.” Though the player confirmed their Dungeon Master also noticed the cheating, no one was really sure what to do, especially since they are all close friends with the person. Making the situation more frustrating, the player “tend[s] to get easily offended if they’re called out on something” and “[has] a problem with interrupting the DM’s information and lore and trying to jump into anyone else’s RP.” Fortunately, other Reddit users had some good advice. For starters, many suggested using a digital dice roller that shares results with everyone to ensure no one is lying. Those using platforms like Roll20 and D&D Beyond can roll there, or players can use a Discord bot. Some DMs have even implemented rules for those who want to use physical dice requiring players to show the results on camera. Others suggested a more direct approach in confronting the player on their behavior. “I’d straight up give them the statistics on their rolls. Don’t make any accusations, just record their rolls for a session, state the odds, and ask them if they’ve got anything they maybe want to say,” said one commenter. “F*** the ‘they might react poorly’, they’re the ones cheating, YOU get to react poorly.” This advice may certainly be challenging for those who don’t like confrontation. However, perhaps the best way to deal with the issue is to make clear that low dice rolls are an important part of D&D and its storytelling. As one commenter put it, “Rolling poorly is what actually makes the game fun. When you remove the possibility of failure, there’s no suspense and consequently no joy in hitting that crit.” If you enjoyed this, check out the rest of our Dungeons & Dragons coverage.

What is D&D OGL 1.1? WoTC Open Game License leak explained – Dexerto
What is D&D OGL 1.1? WoTC Open Game License leak explained Wizards of The CoastAs seen through a recent leak, Dungeons and Dragons publisher, Wizards of the Coast, is soon to change its Open Game License, causing uproar among fans and some confusion. So, here’s the D&D OGL 1.1 explained so you know what it means for your tabletop adventure. Before understanding the impact of the OGL 1.1, we must first cover some history. Created in 2000, the original OGL provided a space in which creators could develop their own content, inspired by the world WoTC had created. This quickly introduces new ‘homebrew’ books, unique character sheets, races, and so much more, directly contributing to the success D&D now holds across the globe. Now, after 23 years and the controversial announcement of One D&D, WoTC is making changes to its Open Game License, aiming to restrict and demand royalties from such companies, small businesses, and practically anyone making money off of D&D. While it may just be a leak, many fans are furious so we’ve put together an explanation of this new OGL and what it means for you as a player, creator, or business. What is D&D OGL 1.1? So, what is D&D OGL 1.1? It’s essentially a way for Wizards of the Coast to keep an eye on what’s being produced under the banner of Dungeons and Dragons and claim royalties from certain larger businesses making a high profit. As stated in the leaked document, “This revised license is intended to protect the D&D brand by reducing creator confusion, preventing bad actors from tarnishing it, and preventing large businesses from profiting off it without proper checks and balances.” Meaning one of the purposes of this document is to essentially keep an eye on what is being published under the D&D name. The “proper checks and balances” will come in the form of requiring all creators making a profit on their D&D-related work, be that $1 or $50,000, to log their profits, product, and obtain a Creator Product badge for their work, as stated on D&D Beyond. This includes anyone making D&D content through Kickstarter, social media (when making money through ads), book creations, adventure modules, and all homebrew content being sold. Those earning over $750,000 a year will be required to “share some of that success with [WoTC] by paying a royalty of 20 to 25% of the “qualifying revenue” they make in excess of $750,000.” However, if you’re earning under that then there will be no need to pay, although, as stated in the leak, logging your content will grant WoTC a “nonexclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to use that content for any purpose.” The royalties, owning of content, and the requirement to log all your content both previous and future is what’s upsetting fans with many feeling they will no longer be able to produce new content or make money off their work. In summary, D&D OGL 1.1 will require all creators with products linked to or inspired by D&D to log and hand over some of the rights of their product to WoTC. Anyone making over $750,000 a year will need to pay royalties and anyone making no profit will be able to continue as they are. What does the OGL 1.1 mean for creators and players? For players, at least initially, there won’t be any big changes. If you’re not making money off D&D content then there’s nothing you need to do, although you may see some companies or Kickstarters disappearing to avoid logging their work, paying royalties, or handing over their creations to WoTC. If you’re a small business or are earning a small amount by producing D&D content, then you’ll need to log all your content and products through WoTC following D&D OGL 1.1, meaning they will be able to accept or deny your creation and use the content themselves. Or, for those who are making an impressive $750,000 per year or more, you’ll need to start paying Royalties on all D&D profits made after January 1, 2024. This will likely include pivotal companies in the community like Paizo (known for their hand in Pathfinder), Critical Role, Green Ronin, Kobold Press, and so many more. While the D&D OGL 1.1 is just a leak at the moment, it seems both creators and players are unhappy with the changes, feeling this will greatly impact D&D as we know it. Only time will tell if that is true or if it continues in the upwards trajectory we are currently witnessing.

D&D X BlackMilk Clothing collection: Where to buy, best items, more – Dexerto
D&D X BlackMilk Clothing collection: Where to buy, best items, more BlackMilk / Wizards of the CoastDungeons & Dragons is celebrating its 50th anniversary by collaborating with Australian clothing brand BlackMilk. Here’s what to know about the collection, including our hand-on impressions of the Shrug Bishop Dress. D&D‘s 50th anniversary celebration has been full of crossovers with popular brands like LEGO and Converse. Among these is a collaboration with BlackMilk, an Australian clothing brand who has worked with various other gaming and nerd culture IP including Pokemon, Mario, Star Wars, and The Witcher. The D&D X BlackMilk collection includes over three dozen designs drawing from the game’s decades-long history. This includes T-shirts with iconic characters, dresses with subtle D&D motifs, and accessories that fit with the rest of the collection. We were also able to get our hands on one of the dresses, so we can speak to its overall quality. Here’s what to know about the D&D X BlackMilk collection. Contents Where to buy the D&D X BlackMilk collection – Best D&D X BlackMilk pieces & references – D&D X BlackMilk Shrug Bishop Dress impressions – Where to buy the D&D X BlackMilk collection The Dungeons & Dragons X BlackMilk collection is exclusively available on BlackMilk’s website. Note that several pieces and sizes are sold out. Those marked “Limited” will not be restocked, though other items may come back at a later date. Best D&D X BlackMilk pieces & references BlackMilk’s D&D collection features some great references to the tabletop game, including its characters, creatures, and maps. Some standout pieces include a robe (pictured above) that features Count Strahd von Zarovich. This particular design draws from the original Advanced D&D Ravenloft module’s cover art, which shows the vampire lord standing on the balcony of Castle Ravenloft. There are also options for those who prefer more subtle designs, including a maxi dress and romper inspired by the Harpers. This faction from D&D lore has become more recognizable in recent years after appearances in Baldur’s Gate 3 and the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The design includes various references to the group, including the crescent moon and harp symbol they’ve long been associated with. Another highlight is the Tomb of Annihilation Blazer. The maroon jacket features the D&D ampersand on the breast pocket and, as the name suggests, the map from the Tomb of Annihilation adventure module printed on the lining. This adventure is famously brutal and based on 1978’s Tomb of Horrors, which was written by D&D co-creator Gary Gygax himself. D&D X BlackMilk Shrug Bishop Dress impressions I was able to get my hands on the Shrug Bishop Dress (pictured above) thanks to Wizards of the Coast and BlackMilk, so I can attest to its quality first-hand. First off, I really love the color and subtlety of the design, which incorporates the d20 and iconic dragon ampersand. The material also feels very high-quality and has a lot of elasticity, making for a cozy and flattering fit. I also really appreciated the tie on the neckline for allowing me to adjust the top until I felt comfortable. I personally love my dress, but there are a couple of things I noticed that may impact your comfort. For one, while the sleeves give it a nice look, the elastic on the ends is fairly snug. Like the rest of the dress, it has a lot of stretch to it, but if you don’t like to have things around your wrists, you may want to pick a size larger than usual or another design altogether. Second, the elastic across the chest often folds itself down, revealing the black lining of the dress. That’s not inherently a knock against the dress, but it is something to be aware of before buying. Of course, this is just one piece and I can’t judge the whole D&D collection based on the Shrug Bishop Dress. Still, for context, this is not my first BlackMilk product, and I’m just as happy with it as I have been with previous purchases.

DnD Book of Many Things new magic item turns players into Captain America – Dexerto
DnD Book of Many Things new magic item turns players into Captain America The Book of Many Things might seem as if it’s focused on the Deck of Many Things, but there’s another item in the book that players should seek out, as it lets them fight like Captain America. In Dungeons & Dragons 5E, shields are meant for the express purpose of deflecting attacks, as using one increases the player’s Armor Class score. Fighting with a shield isn’t a great option unless the player takes the Shield Master Feat, which lets them perform a Shove as a Bonus Action while attacking. As with magic weapons, there are magic shields in D&D 5E that provide all kinds of bonuses, mostly relating to defense. A few shields provide attacking abilities, but they’re just a side feature of the item and not something you can build a character around. While video games sometimes feature funny shield tricks, D&D 5E players usually care more about cool magic weapons and epic spells than they do a board with a strap attached. This might soon change, however, thanks to a brand new magic item that’s coming to the game. The Boomerang Shield from the Book of Many Things lets D&D 5E players fight like Captain America Captain America is famous for throwing his shield at his foes so that it returns to his hand after it has flown. The new Boomerang Shield from the Book of Many Things has a similar property, as it’s a shield that acts like a thrown weapon rather than just a piece of armor. If a character is proficient with shields and attunes to a Boomerang Shield, they can throw it in combat (20ft short range/60ft long range), using either Strength or Dexterity as the modifier. If it hits, the Boomerang Shield deals 1d6 slashing damage, and it will instantly return to the user’s hand after hitting/missing its target. This teleporting property allows the character to throw it multiple times in one Action if they have the Extra Attack feature. As the Boomerang Shield functions like a normal shield, the character can keep one hand free throughout combat, allowing them to carry a torch or prop up a wounded party member while maintaining the benefits of keeping a weapon and a shield ready at all times. The Boomerang Shield would work well with the content from Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants, as the Strike of the Giants Feat and the Path of the Giant Barbarian subclass both provide additional benefits when using thrown weapons in combat. Those who want to stick to the Captain America theme should probably go with Fighter, Paladin, or Monk instead. The Book of Many Things has plenty of new magic items for players to seek out, yet the Boomerang Shield stands out due to its utility. Despite having a simple concept, the Boomerang Shield is extremely useful for many combat builds, acting as both an offensive and defensive option simultaneously.

DnD 5E’s Book of Many Things new spell proves power creep is real – Dexerto
DnD 5E’s Book of Many Things new spell proves power creep is real Cards are the focus of D&D 5E’s new Book of Many Things, but one spell involves a trick that outshines an existing spell, completely outstripping it, in a demonstration of power creep. Dungeons & Dragons 5E was launched in 2014, and since then, there has been a slow power creep throughout the new books, with new class, race, background, and spell options outstripping those that appeared in the Player’s Handbook. The next D&D 5E sourcebook, the Book of Many Things, introduces a spell that reflects power creep, as it’s a superior version of an existing magical effect from the Player’s Handbook. The new spell, Spray of Cards, outshines Blindness/Deafness. Spray of Cards is a Level 2 Conjuration spell that Bards, Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards can take. The effect involves firing a volley of cards at the enemy, much like a magic trick, but its mechanical effect in the D&D 5E rules is quite powerful. The Book of Many Things’ Spray of Cards spell outshines Blindness/Deafness Spray of Cards from The Book of Many Things hits enemies in a 15ft cone, forcing a Dexterity saving throw. If the enemies fail the saving throw, they take 2d10 Force damage and are blinded until the end of their next turn. If they pass the saving throw, they just take half the damage. The player can increase the spell’s level to add 1d10 damage per level. By comparison, Blindless/Deafness is a Level 2 Necromancy spell that can be taken by the same classes as Spray of Cards. The player selects a single foe and forces it to make a Constitution saving throw. If the enemy fails, they have either the Blinded or Deafened condition for one minute, but they can repeat the saving throw at the end of each turn. The player can increase the spell level to add more targets. The Book of Many Things has powerful options that make existing spells less useful. The reason Spray of Cards is so much better than Blindness/Deafness is that it deals damage (even on a passed save), and the Blinded effect could potentially hit up to six foes. Meanwhile, Blindness/Deafness is a one-shot effect that can be useless if the enemy passes its save. The extra use of the Deafened condition also isn’t great, as Silence is also a level 2 spell, and it’s much better at robbing enemies of their hearing. Blinded is one of D&D 5e’s best status effects to inflict in combat, as enemies have Disadvantage on attacks, while opponents have Advantage on attacks against them. The ability to apply this to a group of enemies in combat while also dealing damage makes Spray of Cards one of the best level 2 spells in the game. D&D may re-balance spells in the future to combat power creep D&D is building up to a new edition of the game, with the D&D 5E playtesting materials hinting at many improvements in the works. It’s unsurprising to see some of the older spells being left behind, but there’s a chance that the new version of the Player’s Handbook will improve Blindness/Deafness so it can compete with the magical cardsharks of the D&D multiverse.
