  • Can you respec Talent Points in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? – Dexerto

Can you respec Talent Points in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Rocksteady StudiosSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lets you build your ideal member of the team, but can you experiment with your build via respec? Here’s what you need to know. After a bumpy road, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is finally here, throwing players into the role of the iconic villain squad. The title is a looter-shooter a la Destiny and Borderlands, heavily rewarding players for experimenting with different builds. Each member of the squad has their own set of perks and skill trees that promote experimentation, as leveling up rewards “Talent Points” to unlock said perks. With that said, the question of “respec,” or gaining skill points back to reallocate, is a popular one in titles like these. Without further ado, let’s discuss whether or not you can respec in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Can you respec in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? As mentioned, when leveling up in Suicide Squad, you earn skill points aka Talent Points that can be invested into a skill tree for each character. However, there is no process of respec, as the game does not return the skill points spent to reallocate to your liking. That said, you can instead edit your perk selection, provided they’re in the same tier. For example, in the screenshot above, in Captain Boomerang’s “Boomin Boomerang” tree, you can switch between any of the Tier 1 perks to experiment with different playstyles. • Can you play Last Epoch offline? Benefits, drawbacks, and switching – Dexerto

Can you play Last Epoch offline? Benefits, drawbacks, and switching Elevent Hour GamesIf you’re wondering if Last Epoch is offline compatible, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s everything you need to know about playing the game without an internet connection. Last Epoch is finally here in its 1.0 state, having a long journey from its original Kickstarter campaign in 2018. The ARPG tasks adventurers with exploring the past to save the future of its world, Eterra. Taking cues from the likes of Diablo and Path of Exile, fans of the genre now have a whole new franchise to get lost in. Be you a Mage, Rogue, Primalist, Acolyte, or Sentinel, there’s a class for you to master as you try to drive back the Void. However, while the title supports multiplayer, you may be wondering, does that mean you have to have an internet connection? Or will you just be forced online at all times, at the mercy of login issues. We can answer that for you. Here’s everything you need to know about the game and its offline version. Can you play Last Epoch offline? Yes. You can play Last Epoch offline, letting you choose how you want to play. Doing so is generally pretty self-explanatory. When you launch the game, a bespoke launcher will open. There you can sign into online play, but below that, you will see a button to ‘Play Offline.’ There are some drawbacks to be aware of with the offline version. You will not have access to Cycles, which are essentially seasons in other games. You also won’t be able to participate in multiplayer, obviously, nor the in-game auction house. However, it does mean that you’re not reliant on servers, which have been a little shaky, and you can pause the game when you like. It’s up to you how you want to play. While online will be a fairer, more complete experience, there are plenty of reasons you may choose to play offline. Especially if you don’t want to be at the mercy of your internet or server issues. Can you switch between Last Epoch offline and online? No. You can’t switch freely between offline and online play, at least with the same characters. When you are starting a character, you will need to decide if you want to play in the connected world, or if you’d like to just keep it local to your PC. You can switch between both online and offline as a player, of course. However, your progression and characters between the two playstyles won’t come with you. This is largely because you can manipulate the game, and potentially add cheats and mods in the offline version of the game. Being able to move freely between both would mean the connected version would likely be unfair for some.

A Cities Skylines 2 Mac edition isn’t out of the question, as the game’s predecessor did receive a Mac version at launch. A city-builder is a much better fit for a personal computer than a console, so there’s a chance that Cities Skylines 2 could see a Mac port further down the road. The fact that the console versions are so far off from the PC launch suggests the developers want to get the base version right before putting it on other systems. By all accounts, there’s a lot of work to be done on Cities Skylines 2, so silence regarding further ports isn’t necessarily suspicious or a bad sign. Hopefully, by the time Cities Skylines 2 is ready to make the jump to other platforms, the game’s many issues will have been resolved. Cities Skylines 2 might be available on PC, but the fans waiting on other systems could be in for a better first impression.

  • Can you play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? – Dexerto

Can you play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? UbisoftIn James Cameron’s Avatar movies, we’ve seen humans work hand in hand with the Na’vi in order to protect Pandora, so players may be wondering whether they can play as humans in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Here’s what you need to know about who you play in the game. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an amazing opportunity for fans of the series to get out and explore Pandora like never before. This is easily the most comprehensive opportunity for you to see the alien world for yourself, and interact with all the spectacular wildlife and flora. However, one of the central conceits of Avatar as a franchise is that it focuses on humans transmitting their consciousness into biological alien bodies. That switching between the two forms is key to Jake Sully and his story in the films. More than that – in video games, the previous major Avatar game from 2009 lets you choose between helping the humans or the Na’vi. Because of that, it’s completely reasonable to ask, can you play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? We’re here to answer that question. Here’s everything you need to know about the character you play in the game. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – can you play as a human? No, you can not play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Instead, you play as a set character in the game with their own distinct background. That character is a Na’vi – so, you’re not even playing as a titular Avatar. You will play as a Na’vi abducted as an infant by the RDA and trained in The Ambassador Program (TAP) to serve human interests on Pandora. When the RDA evacuated Pandora during the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains (as seen in the first Avatar movie), you were put into emergency cryosleep. You wake up 15 years later, finally free from the RDA, but lost and unfamiliar with your home world. Hopefully, that isn’t too disappointing and you will still be able to get out there and explore Pandora to your heart’s content. That’s all we know about playing as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. • Can you manually save in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? – Dexerto

Can you manually save in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? UbisoftUbisoft’s open world will have you hooked for hours with its beautiful scenery and action-based story. So, to ensure you don’t lose any progress while fighting the RDA in the immersive RPG, it’s important to know how to save your game in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The long-awaited game based on James Cameron’s cinematic universe has finally arrived, and players are ready to dig into the confines of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Because of the amount of time you’ll invest exploring this vast, wild, and colorful universe, it’s important to keep your progress safe in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, so here’s how you can do it. Can you manually save your progress in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? No, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora doesn’t have any manual save function. Unlike most single-player games, you won’t have a button you can tap anytime you want to save your game’s progress. Although auto-save is a basic practice that has been around for decades, some new games are choosing not to implement it, depriving players of certain freedoms. Manual saves give players more than just peace of mind. They allow them to experiment with the story as they can use older files to go back in time and pick a different dialogue option to change the course of their adventure. How to save your progress in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s only save option is the auto-save function, and though some anxious players may not trust the automatic process, it’s working nicely so far. The feature keeps your progression up to date on a regular basis and has proven to be reliable, saving every few minutes. This mostly occurs during “quieter” moments like exploring, after completing a quest, and obviously when reaching an outpost. Keep in mind that it also saves every time you exit the game through the main menu, so that could be a good practice. Anyhow, as a safety measure, it’s always advisable not to quit the game in the middle of a fight, dialogue, or while a cinematic is playing, because saving during an action-packed moment can result in data loss. That’s it! That’s all you need to know about how to save your game in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. • Can you kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker? – Dexerto

Can you kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker? Frictional GamesThe monster in Amnesia: The Bunker is one of the biggest ways to get your blood pumping while playing the game, but can you kill it? One of the more famous elements of the Amnesia series of horror games is the fact that your ability in combat is very limited. In past iterations, being able to kill the monsters that haunt you is mostly an impossibility. In Amnesia: The Bunker, however, your character is a World War 1 soldier with access to a range of weapons and explosives. So you may be wondering: can you kill the monster? Can you kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker? First of all, we need to warn you there are major spoilers ahead. So don’t read on if you want to avoid ending spoilers for Amnesia: The Bunker. For about 95% of your playthrough, you are unable to kill the monster, referred to as “The Beast”. It will be constantly stalking you throughout the underground hideout, but you won’t be able to permanently get rid of it. Using your guns and explosives against it is merely a means to hurt it, scaring it off into one of the many crawlspaces it likes to hide in. However, you’ll find that the Beast will soon return to get you. We recommend only shooting the monster if you have no other choice. How to kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker Despite this, there is a way to kill the Beast. It happens at the very end of the game. After you have collected the dynamite and detonator handle, you can blow up the exit to the bunker. Follow the path that has been created and you’ll find yourself in a dark, open area made up of many bridges. In this final location, the Beast will be roaming around hunting you. To finish the game, you need to either kill the Beast or avoid it long enough to stack the crates at the back to let you climb over the fence. To kill the Beast, you basically need to lure it onto one of the bridges and blow it up, sending into the chasm below. Some of these bridges are made of wood, and can be broken by shooting or blowing them up. Make sure there is a wooden bridge between yourself and the Beast, and have it notice you. It’ll charge at you once it does. If you can time it correctly, shooting the bridge either with the shotgun or blowing it up with a grenade will have it fall into the dark pit underneath. This is much easier if you have the rabbit toy in your inventory, which can be found in the Roman ruins. Throw the toy down onto a wooden platform and watch as the creature plays with it. It’ll be distracted for about 5-10 seconds, giving you enough time to blow up the bridge. This method is useful for players who don’t want to sneak around moving crates and avoiding the monster, and would prefer a more direct approach. It also makes your escape from the bunker a lot easier. And that’s how to kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker. Be sure to check out our other Amnesia: The Bunker guides too: How to get the lockdown wheel | How to get the wrench | How to get the chain cutters | Arsenal door code location | Detonator handle location | Rabbit toy location | Can you kill the monster in Amnesia: The Bunker

  • Can you fast travel in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? – Dexerto

Can you fast travel in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? SteamSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League allows players to immerse themselves in the vast open world of dystopian Metropolis. This begs the question of whether or not the game has fast travel as a feature. Rocksteady Studios’ highly anticipated yet controversial game, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, offers players an expansive open world to explore within Metropolis. However, traversing such a vast environment can sometimes be time-consuming and tedious, prompting many players to seek out the convenience of fast travel. While fast travel provides a convenient means of transportation, players can also explore Metropolis using various traversal mechanics unique to each playable character. Deadshot can utilize his jetpack to fly, Harley Quinn employs her grappling hook and drone for traversal, King Shark uses his apex abilities to leap, and Captain Boomerang uses the iconic Speedforce for short-distance teleportation. That being said, if you’re wondering whether fast travel is available in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and how to use it effectively, we’ve got you covered. Is there fast travel in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Unfortunately, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League does not feature a fast travel system. This allows players to make use of each character’s unique traversal mechanics. Considering Batman: Arkham Knight didn’t have this feature either, it seems unlikely for Rocksteady to include it going forward with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. There is one mode of fast travel available in the game known as Hall of Justice Rapid Transit. That being said, it’s important to note that this feature is limited to one specific location in the game: the Hall of Justice which acts as the central hub of the game where quest givers and merchants reside. How to unlock the Hall of Justice Rapid Transit To unlock fast travel in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, you must progress through the game’s storyline until you reach a point in the third chapter. Without revealing any spoilers, you will then encounter a specific mission with the Flash, after which fast travel, known as Rapid Transit, will then be available. Upon unlocking this feature, you can utilize this feature by accessing the map screen and pressing the designated button (up on your D-pad) to activate Rapid Transit. • How to change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 – Dexerto

How to change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 Larian StudiosPlayers can customize their character to their liking in Baldur’s Gate 3 thanks to the game’s in-depth character creator, but you may be wondering if it’s possible to change your appearance once the game starts. So, here’s everything you need to know about adjusting your looks in Larian Studios’ RPG. Larian Studios’ latest release, Baldur’s Gate 3, is a true Dungeons & Dragons experience with many of the game’s systems being based on elements of the beloved tabletop RPG, including allowing players to completely customize their own character. Thanks to the robust customization options, you can select and adjust everything from your race, class, and subclass, to your basic appearance such as hair and eye color before you embark on your adventure. You may hit a point where you’re not satisfied with your character’s appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3, so here’s everything you need to know about whether or not you can change your appearance in the game. Can you change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3? Yes, there’s a way you can change your character’s appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 after the initial character creation process. This means players don’t need to be absolutely sure about all their choices before they completely exit the character creator at the start of their BG3 journey. In order to do so, you just need to find the Magic Mirror in your camp. As soon as you interact with it, a customization UI will appear, allowing you to change any aspect you want. The Magic Mirror is completely free, and players can use it as many times as they want, so now you have the freedom to experiment with all the looks you can imagine. Because the camp changes according to your location, the magical artifact might switch places. Sometimes you’ll find it near the middle, while others, it can be on top of a hill, inside a room, or in the small fort in one of the corners. It’s worth noting that this feature wasn’t available at launch. Larian Studios developed it and added it to the game after persistent community demand. So, if you’ve been playing pre-Patch 3, you might easily overlook it. What can you change with the Magic Mirror? When you access the Magic Mirror, you’ll be able to change: Facial Structure – Voice – Identity – Body Art & Makeup – Hairstyle – Eye & Hair color – As the game indicates, Origin Characters, Hirelings, and Full Illithids can’t use the Magic Mirror. Further more, players are not allowed to change their race/subrace, nor their body type, or injuries that happen during the course of the story that leave cosmetic marks. Other ways to change your appearance in Baldur’s Gate 3 There’s another way for players to alter their appearance, but it’s less permanent. For gamers who have purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition, they can claim the included Mask of the Shapeshifter. The Mask of the Shapeshifter is found in the camp’s traveler’s chest and is free to use. By equipping it, you can use the level 1 spell, Shapeshift, which allows you to change into any race and gender of your choice — even gaining the benefits of those races. Sadly, this change is not permanent and the spell can be broken in a variety of different ways. Many wrestlers have had different themes throughout their careers, and thus, some iconic ones may be left out of WWE 2K24. But, can WWE 2K24 players add custom music to the game? Here’s an answer to that question. Status of custom music and soundtracks in WWE 2K24 No, players can’t upload custom music or soundtracks directly in WWE 2K24. Adding custom music in older WWE games was something that could be done fairly easy during the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 days. A USB flash drive with music files could be incorporated into the game to add custom soundtracks, giving players the opportunity to give wrestlers music not in the original version of the title. However, this feature hasn’t been in the game for many years and is not in WWE 2K24. WWE 2K24 does allow for the uploads of custom images into the game’s online Community Creations. This can be done using compatible files through the official WWE 2K website. We should note that unlike console owners on the PlayStation and Xbox family of platforms, PC players will have more leeway to add custom music directly into the game. • Callisto Protocol gameplay revealed at Summer Game Fest with epic death scene – Dexerto

Callisto Protocol gameplay revealed at Summer Game Fest with epic death scene Striking Distance StudiosThe first gameplay for the upcoming game The Callisto Protocol was shown at Summer Game Fest and ended with an incredible death scene. Players finally got their first look at the gameplay of the upcoming survival-horror game the Callisto Protocol. Although Callisto Protocol was officially revealed at the June PlayStation State of Play, it was only in the form of a cinematic trailer. Players who were excited for the latest installment from Glen Schofield and Striking Distance Studios were still asking to see some footage from the game itself. At the Summer Game Fest, their desires were met. The gameplay footage shown included plenty of dark, claustrophobic content reminding players of games such as Dead Space. It ended with one of the most out-of-nowhere and incredible deaths for the player character of a game in recent memory. The Callisto Protocol gameplay is pure horror The gameplay footage follows the player character – named Jacob Lee – through the bowels of the Black Iron prison colony. But an alien invasion has infected other prisoners, leaving Lee alone, trying to escape an infestation with few resources. Lee is pitted against different types of enemies in the first gameplay footage, including a burly tank and an acid-hurling enemy. These foes appear to be quite difficult to kill, as they will keep coming at Lee even after losing several limbs. Luckily, the player not only has conventional weapons at their disposal but also a gravity gun that they can use to pick up and throw enemies. The gameplay footage demonstrates this beautifully when the player hurls an enemy into a fan, slicing them into pieces. But the gory fates are not limited to just the alien menace. Watch: The Callisto Protocol gameplay trailer The first Callisto Protocol gameplay footage ends with the player being sucked into and sliced up in a nearby fan. This means that the environment is not only deadly to the aliens, but also to the player. This interactive and dangerous environment, as well as the game’s design (there is no HUD, with ammo counts and health being displayed on the player) show that Schofield has not forgotten his roots with Dead Space. The Callisto Protocol is set to release on December 2, 2022.

  • Call of Duty fan spots familiar Zombies scenes in The Day Before trailer – Dexerto

Call of Duty fan spots familiar Zombies scenes in The Day Before trailer FtnasticA Call of Duty Zombies superfan has pointed out some extreme similarities between The Day Before and a Cold War trailer. The Day Before, a survival shooter set in an extremely dangerous American wasteland, has been making quite the stir online thanks to its January 24 delay. Speculation over the site of the game has gone rampant with some fans even claiming the game may not even exist. Fntastic, the developers behind the game, released a 10-minute gameplay trailer on February 2 but even that wasn’t enough to quell the rumors. On top of that, a contingent of Call of Duty fans are convinced that the extended look contained scenes heavily inspired by Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode. The Day Before’s similarities with CoD Black Ops Cold War Chromastone10 posted several comparative screenshots between the two titles on Twitter, clearly in disbelief over how closely they resemble one another. Their first tweet showed off four images, two from each game, that does contain some strong similarities. The first two put the camera looking down through a set of grates and onto separate grisly scenes, with the next two featuring similar shots of two characters outlined in red light progressing through spooky corridors. He also uploaded another set of images that further the connection between the two games and other fans are using it as fuel for the theory that TDB could be majorly incomplete. “I KNEW that s**t looked familiar,” one commenter said. “If you’re going to copy, copy from the best,” another added. Observant commenter DanBeforeTime pointed out that the gun customization menu in The Day Before also bears a resemblance to another Cold War feature. “The Day Before didn’t even attempt to change the font from the Black Ops Cold War Gunsmith.” Fntastic has yet to acknowledge any similarity intended or otherwise but we will keep on top of the latest news surrounding the game.

There are a total of 5 standard 5-stars and Calcharo is the best DPS option among them. While Jiyan is indeed the most powerful 5-star right now, some players are skipping him for Yinlin. If you’re one of those, Calcharo is the best choice in the early game and has great synergy with Yinlin. If you pick Calcharo from the free 5-star option, here’s everything you need to know about him. Who is Calcharo in Wuthering Waves? Calcharo is the leader of the Ghost Hounds in Wuthering Waves. He’s lethal and dangerous, even though he has a stoic personality. One thing that Calcharo respects the most is control. He handles everything with an Iron Fist and leaves no room for mercy or affection. He’s the single biggest reason for the glory of the Ghost Hounds. After Resonance Liberation Deathblade Gear state ends, Calcharo’s next Intro Skill is replaced with Intro Skill ‘Necessary Means’, which deals Electro DMG, considered as Intro Skill damage. – Deathblade Gear Basic Attack is replaced with Basic Attack Hounds Roar. – Dodge Counter deals increased damage, considered as Resonance Liberation damage. – – Hounds Roar Calcharo performs up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Electro DMG, considered as Basic Attack Damage. – – Forte Circuit: Hunting Mission Heavy Attack: Mercy When Calcharo has 3 ‘Cruelty’, his Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack ‘Mercy’. – When casting Heavy Attack ‘Mercy’, Calcharo consumes 3 ‘Cruelty’ to deal Electro DMG, considered as Heavy Attack damage, and recovers Resonance Energy and Concerto Energy. – – Cruelty Calcharo can hold up to 3 ‘Cruelty’. – Under Resonance Liberation Deathblade Gear state, ‘Cruelty’ cannot be acquired. Each Phantom deals Electro DMG equal to 100.00% of Calcharo’s ATK, which is considered Resonance Liberation damage. – Best Calcharo weapon in Wuthering Waves There are a couple of weapons that work quite well for Calcharo. You can find a rundown of them all below: Verdant Summit This is the featured 5-star weapon that you can pull from the Absolute Pulsation banner. This Broadblade has high Base ATK and CRIT DMG substat. Additionally, it boosts the DMG bonus of Resonance Attributes by 12%. Upon using Liberation Skill or Intro Skill, it further increases Heavy ATK DMG by 24% and stacks for 2 times. Since Calcharo relies on Heavy Attacks, this weapon will function exceptionally well for him. The CRIT DMG stat will also come in handy while building Calcharo. Lustrous Razer This is the 5-star Broadblade you can get from the Standard weapon banner. This weapon boasts decent Base ATK and has an ATK% substat. It increases the Energy Regeneration of units by 12.8%. Additionally, upon using Resonance Skill, the damage of Resonance Liberation is increased by 7%. This effect can stack up to 2 times. While the weapon is quite good with the excess ATK, a lack of Crit stats will mean your Echoes need to be really good as well. The Energy Regeneration will help you to spam your abilities, making rotations faster. However, the biggest advantage of Lustrous Razer is you can pick it up for free upon reaching Union Level 45. Autumntrace This is a 4-star weapon you get from the Battle Pass in Wuthering Waves. This weapon boasts good Base ATK and features a Crit Rate substat. Additionally, upon dealing Basic or Heavy ATK, it increases the DMG output by 4% up to 5 times. This effect lasts for 7 seconds and can be triggered every 1 second. This Broadblade is amazing on Calcharo as both the substat and the passive skill will enhance his DMG output significantly. In fact, it’s a lot better than Lustrous Razer. Best Echo and Sonata Effect for Calcharo in Wuthering Waves Calcharo is an Electro unit and requires Echoes that will boost his elemental damage massively. The best Echo and Sonata Effect for Calcharo has been listed below. Echo The best Echo for Calcharo is Thundering Mephis. This Echo upon being summoned deals massive Electro DMG to enemies. Additionally, it also boosts Calcharo’s Electro DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG. You might be wondering why Tempest Mephis should not be used. The reason is that Calcharo’s Resonance Liberation is a powerhouse boosted by Thundering Mephis. Additionally, the Sonata effect for Thundering Mephis has Heavy Attack scaling. Hence it covers both areas as opposed to Tempest Memphis. Sonata Effect The best Sonata Effect for Calcharo is Void Thunder. The set bonus is as follows: Echo stats The Echo stats you need to focus on for Calcharo are as follows: Calcharo ascension and Forte level-up materials in Wuthering Waves Calcharo ascension materials Calcharo needs Crude Ring, Basic Ring, Improved Ring, Tailored Ring, Thundering Tacet Core, and Iris to ascend in Wuthering Waves. The exact number of materials you need are as follows: Crude Ring x4 – Basic Ring x12 – Improved Ring x12 – Tailored Ring x4 – Thundering Tacet Core x46 – Iris x60 – Where to farm Calcharo ascension materials in Wuthering Waves Crude Ring and its upgrades Crude Ring and its upgrades are dropped by the Exile Enemies in Wuthering Waves. You can locate these enemies by clicking on the item and then the enemy’s name. The game will automatically navigate you to the necessary locations. Thundering Tacet Core Thundering Tacet Core is dropped by the Thundering Mephis boss. This boss can be found in Withering Frontline in the middle of the Desrock Highlands. Iris Iris is found in abundance all over the Whining Aix’s Mire region in Wuthering Waves. It’s located near the Fallen Grave and Waving Battlefield. Calcharo Forte level-up materials The materials you need to level up Calcharo’s Forte are Waveworn Residue 210 and its upgrades, Crude Ring and its upgrades, and Monument Bell. The exact number of materials you need are as follows: Crude Ring x25 – Basic Ring x28 – Improved Ring x40 – Tailored Ring x57 – Waveworn Residue 210 x25 – Waveworn Residue 226 x28 – Waveworn Residue 235 x55 – Wavework Residue 239 x67 – Monument Bell x26 – Where to farm Calcharo Forte level-up materials Waveworn Residue 210 and its upgrades Waveworn Residue 210 and its upgrades can be farmed from Forgery Challenge: Eroded Ruins near Tiger’s Maw Mine. Monument Bell Monument Bell is a drop from the boss Bell-Borne Geochelone. This is a weekly boss which means you can farm it for a maximum of three times per week. Calcharo Forte and Resonance Chain priority in Wuthering Waves Forte priority The Forte skills you should be focusing for Calcharo are as follows: Resonance Liberation- Highest priority – Forte Circuit- Highest Priority – Resonance Skill- Mid Priority – Intro Skill- Low Priority – Basic ATK- Low Priority – Resonance Chain priority The Resonance Chain you should focus on for Calcharo if you plan to spend money is as follows: Sequence 3 – Sequence 4 – Sequence 6 – Calcharo pros and cons in Wuthering Waves The pros and cons of Calcharo are as follows: Should you pull for Calcharo in Wuthering Waves? Yes, Calcharo is worth pulling in Wuthering Waves. This is because, irrespective of whether you get Jiyan or not, Calcharo is a really strong DPS unit. One of the biggest advantages of Calcharo is that he will have a dedicated support once Yinlin is available. This will make him one of the strongest characters in the game. Jiyan doesn’t have that luxury for now. Apart from that, you can get him for free either from the free ticket or from the 50 pulls banner. If you do not get him in either, you can still target him from the Beginner’s Choice Convene and get him after 80 pulls. Being a standard banner character makes Calcharo easily accessible which is always beneficial in a brand-new gacha game. Best Calcharo team comp in Wuthering Waves There are two different teams that function exceptionally well with Calcharo. Team 1: Calcharo, Yinlin, and Baizhi This is Calcharo’s dedicated team where he will be the main DPS, while Yinlin will function as sub-DPS and support. Yinlin can also shred enemy resistances which further enhances Calcharo’s DMG. Finally, Baizhi‘s heals will keep the entire team healthy in extended team fights. You can also use Verina if you get her from the standard banner. Team 2: Calcharo, Sanhua, Baizhi This is another extremely powerful team for Calcharo. This is because Sanhua provides a 38% bonus to Basic Attack DMG with her Outro skill. This is not as high as Yinlin, but she is definitely the second-best option for Calcharo. The reason why this works is because the Resonance Liberation skill of Calcharo is considered as Basic ATK. This does not mean you have to level up Calcharo’s Basic ATK. However, since the ultimate attacks are considered Basic ATK, it benefits from Sanhua’s buff. Additionally, you can get Sanhua for free from daily log-in. • Burnout and Need For Speed devs reveal Wreckreation and it looks smashing – Dexerto

Burnout and Need For Speed devs reveal Wreckreation and it looks smashing Three Fields EntertainmentWreckreation, a new arcade racing sim from devs behind the legendary Burnout and Need For Speed franchises, is on the way and we’ve got our first look at the game. Racing is set for a huge wake-up call as Wreckreation is looking to tear up the rulebook and create the ultimate arcade racing experience – from the creators of two great racing franchises in Burnout and Need For Speed. Whether you want to tear up the streets of your customized ‘MixWorld,’ create awe-inspiring custom tracks that tower above the city, or simply smash and crash opponents in special game modes, Wreckreation appears to cater to all needs. Wreckreation gives you the “power to control gameplay” The art of the arcade racer has died a bit in recent years with more serious realistic simulations such as Gran Turismo and Forza taking all the glory. However, the team at Three Fields Entertainment are looking to put a stop to this with the introduction of Wreckreation, and players are set to be treated to “the ultimate open-world sandbox experience for driving and racing fans alike.” The company has previously tried new IPs in the genre with the likes of Danger Zone and Dangerous Driving giving off that classic Burnout vibe — but this is a whole new, uncaged animal. The game, which can be enjoyed in single-player or with other people, heavily promotes the idea of creating compelling tracks in Sledgehammer County and sharing them with the world. Loops, jumps, bends, and giant ducks are just some of the weird and wonderful elements that can comprise your creations. Your car itself will also be in line for a makeover with Three Fields Entertainment promising “Paint colors, finishes, wheels, boost flames, engine sounds” and a whole lot more. The best part though? They’ll all be available to select from the beginning of the game. Wreckreation will be available to players across the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. There’s no word on when we can expect to see the exciting driving game, but one thing’s for sure: when it does arrive, the only limit will be your imagination.

  • Bungie’s mass layoffs were their decision rather than Sony’s according to reports – Dexerto

Bungie’s mass layoffs were their decision rather than Sony’s according to reports BungieBungie’s mass layoffs have hit the industry hard, with many now looking for jobs in the wake of the company letting go of a large portion of its staff. According to a report from Paul Tassi, these layoffs were Bungie’s decision rather than Sony’s. It’s been a tough year for the games industry. While the year has seen some of gaming’s biggest-ever successes and triumphs in the form of GOTY contenders like Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Tears of the Kingdom, & many more titles, it’s also been a year of rampant layoffs and studio closures. From the shuttering of iconic game studios like Volition to Epic Games making massive cuts across all workforces under their banner, many companies within the industry have chosen to downsize or close outright. Bungie is the latest studio to lay off a large portion of their staff, letting go of dozens of employees. And, according to a source close with Forbes’ Paul Tassi, the layoffs were a direct decision of Bungie’s management rather than being something Sony pushed for. Bungie’s layoffs were reportedly carried out by their own management With the recent Bungie layoffs, both the Final Shape expansion and Marathon have been delayed, pushing their release dates into Sony’s next fiscal year. In the aftermath of the layoffs, speculation ran wild that the decision to downsize the studio and delay their games may have been direct from Sony. However, a recent report indicates otherwise. Forbes’ Paul Tassi spoke with a source that claimed the layoffs were carried out by Bungie’s management directly rather than from any outside meddling from Sony, and that the way in which they were laid off may have kept employees from taking advantage of employment benefits. The source claimed that this was “not about Sony replacing Bungie’s employees with their own people,” and that the manner in which these employees were let go left them out to dry. “Many employee benefits (though not health insurance), only last until the end of the month if you’re let go. Laying people off on the 30th means a single additional day of coverage.” What’s more, the stocks many employees had with Bungie were unvested as a result of the company being purchased by Sony. With the way they were let go, it’s likely that these unvested stocks will never return to their original holders who no longer work at Bungie. “These shares would be received based on staying with the company for a certain number of years following the sale. But those shares revert to Bungie if you leave, even if you’re fired, which is what’s happening now to many of those affected.” Essentially, this means that those let go from the company lose their part of ownership over that company and have no opportunity to either sell it or hold on to their investment. These reports bring a new layer of context to Bungie CEO Pete Parsons’s message claiming that he’d recommend everyone fired. If this report is true, that would mean he made that recommendation despite being the part of the decision for these employees to be let go.

  • Bungie responds as Destiny 2: The Final Shape’s story spoilers leak online – Dexerto

Bungie responds as Destiny 2: The Final Shape’s story spoilers leak online BungieBungie has released its official comment on the leak of The Final Shape, warning Destiny 2 players about spoilers that could be spreading across social media. While the expansion is set to officially release on June 4, some players were able to access the beginning of the campaign through a technical loophole, and now word is spreading like wildfire. It hasn’t taken long for Bungie to comment on the issue, with an X post explaining what happened and what it means for players going forward. As noted in the post, The Final Shape was accidentally pushed to Destiny 2 for anyone who chose to stream the game over PSN. It gave these people access to a part of the campaign and allowed them to see upcoming Collections and reward information before the servers were shut down. Fortunately, Bungie managed to stop the leak before any major spoilers got out, like information about the new raid that is coming. However, developers still warned the community: “We recommend being very careful on social media over the next few days to avoid spoilers, Remember to exercise caution and be critical of potential misinformation. Please be considerate of others and report leaks so players can experience the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga themselves,” Bungie pleaded. The Destiny 2 community rallied for the dev team, with one user responding: “It breaks my heart every damn time, and the extent of this foul mistake makes it all the worse.” They go on to praise the devs for doing what they can to help with the situation and maintain the excitement for the official release. Another fan expresses how they feel “gutted” about the leak and how it affects everyone involved with the game’s development. It seems Bungie was able to take care of the leak before it got out of hand. Yet, Destiny 2 players should stay vigilant and be careful when looking through online conversations until The Final Shape officially arrives on June 4.

  • Bungie to rival Overwatch, Valorant with new “character-focused” esports game – Dexerto

Bungie to rival Overwatch, Valorant with new “character-focused” esports game Blizzard / BungieHaving evolved the FPS genre for more than two decades now, Bungie appears set to tackle the hero-shooter trope next, with a new job listing hinting at key details behind a new competitive title. While Destiny 2 continues to grow in popularity, breaking records with each passing year, Bungie already has its sights set on what comes next. There are no plans to abandon the epic franchise just yet, but devs are busy mapping out new projects. With plans to introduce a new IP by 2025, it’s no surprise then that early details are slipping through the cracks; a job listing unearthed in April pointed towards an esports-centric future for the acclaimed studio. Now, we may have some idea of what Bungie’s new competitive title will look like. According to yet another leaked job listing, the devs are eyeing a ‘Gameplay & Combat Designer,’ with experience in ‘character-focused action games.’ The nine-month contract is for Bungie’s “multiplayer action game currently in incubation.” This mysterious project aims to bring players together in unique ways and “create amazing teamplay moments.” Seeking a developer with experience on character-focused titles clearly points towards a few key names. With the likes of Overwatch and Valorant dominating the esports conversation of late, there’s no denying hero-shooters have become more and more prevalent in recent years. Bungie could be preparing to delve into this side of the industry for the first time. Exactly how it might look, remains to be seen. It could still be a few years until the veil is lifted, but it’s safe to assume there will be a heavy emphasis on character variety with teams dropping into competitive battles. Read More: When is crossplay beta coming to Destiny 2? – While Destiny features unique classes with distinct abilities, all of which can compete in the Crucible, the upcoming project appears to have an exclusive focus on PVP instead. The listing fails to mention any form of single-player or PVE experience to complement the competitive side. Halo was once considered a top-tier competitive title with players dumping thousands of hours into Bungie’s most iconic franchise. Therefore, the devs are no strangers to building games with the esports industry in mind. Given the hiring process is still underway, don’t expect to hear about this game anytime soon; we’ll update you once we hear more!

  • Bungie reportedly reviving sci-fi Marathon series as squad-based shooter – Dexerto

Bungie reportedly reviving sci-fi Marathon series as squad-based shooter BungieA new report claims Destiny developer Bungie is turning its classic sci-fi series, Marathon, into an extraction-based shooter. Bungie had several projects under its belt before changing the status quo of console gaming with Halo in the early aughts. The Marathon franchise constitutes one of the studio’s more interesting pre-Halo endeavors, with the first game charging players with thwarting an alien invasion. Marathon’s futuristic setting on a colony ship in outer space offered far more than another FPS experience, thanks to its deep storytelling. And two games followed in its stead in 1995 and 1996, yet the series lived on in some part via references in Halo. Apparently, Bungie’s ready to revisit the world of Marathon yet again. Bungie is bringing back Marathon as a new kind of shooter Rumors about Destiny spinoffs have circulated for the last several months. In addition, company CEO Pete Parsons previously teased the studio would launch at least one non-Destiny game by 2025. But a new report suggests Bungie’s next project is far from what many would have guessed. Sources familiar with the studio’s operations told Insider Gaming that a Marathon revival is in the works. The alleged game will assume the form of a “three-man squad extraction-based shooter,” the outlet wrote in its report. Marathon’s reboot supposedly functions like other extraction-focused shooters, such that players can expect to select their mission, equip a loadout, track down loot and complete missions on a map, then withdraw. Insider Gaming’s sources described it as the “ultimate example of a living game,” complete with a progression system and seasonal rewards. At present, the project remains in a pre-alpha phase, though there’s no word on when exactly Bungie will lift the veil on its plans. Such a report comes as Destiny 2 players await the release of Lightfall, an expansion slated to launch on February 28, 2023.

  • Bungie assumes full rights to Destiny franchise, splits with Activision – Dexerto

Bungie assumes full rights to Destiny franchise, splits with Activision In one of the most unexpected moves in quite some time, Bungie announced that it will be solely publishing the Destiny franchise after splitting with Activision. Bungie and Activision have been in a partnership for the last few years for the production of Destiny and its subsequent sequel and expansions, but there have been rumors of strife between the parties for some time. Just a few months after the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie has now announced that they are assuming full rights of the franchise moving forward. We are not disappointed with Forsaken. We set out to build a game that Destiny players would love, and at Bungie, we love it too. Building Destiny for players who love it is and will remain our focus going forward. — Luke Smith (@thislukesmith) November 10, 2018 Destiny 2 players on PC will also be able to breath easy with Blizzard announcing that the title will continue to receive full support on BattleNet and players won’t notice any disruption in their service or gameplay. Destiny 2 will still receive full support on BattleNet and we do not anticipate any disruption to our services or your gameplay experience. https://t.co/FFOE1iae3R — BlizzardCS (@BlizzardCS) January 10, 2019 The move has been met with widespread praise from the Destiny community as many feel that now Bungie will have full creative control over the popular franchise. Call of Duty fans also have reason to be happy with the move as the series is now the lone owned IP of Activision, which could allow the company to give the franchise more attention moving forward. Of special note, Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios, both owned by Activision, previously put in work on Destiny and will now be free to work on other titles after the end of this partnership. The possibility remains that these studios can help with Call of Duty at some point down the line.

  • Bungie job listing hints at brand-new free-to-play IP coming alongside Destiny 2 – Dexerto

Bungie job listing hints at brand-new free-to-play IP coming alongside Destiny 2 BungieA job listing at Destiny 2 developer, Bungie, has hinted at important features and the potential monetization structure of their new IP, including live-service and free-to-play components. Bungie’s flagship title, looter-shooter Destiny 2, remains a staple of the gaming landscape and shows no signs of slowing down. With three more confirmed expansions, and plans for continued development into 2024 and beyond, Destiny isn’t going anywhere. Despite the continued success of their beloved franchise, Bungie is not content with keeping all their eggs in one basket, and the developer has already confirmed their plans to release a brand-new IP by 2025. Most details remain under lock and key, but some small insights (like a potential title of ‘Matter’) have been gleaned by press releases and job listings. Now, a new job opening at the company has hinted that its new IP could be free-to-play and built on a live-service model. Originally reported by TheGamePost, this new ‘Senior Marketing Manager’ position teased bits and pieces of what Bungie might have in store for fans with the release of its brand-new gaming franchise. In addition to “[helping] drive awareness, sales, and growth for the next Bungie IP,” the studio is looking to recruit an individual who has “experience with live operations, games as a service, MMO, F2P, and mobile.” While previous details on the upcoming IP have already been gleaned from other job listings — like a focus on competitive PVP, esports readiness, and character-focused gameplay — this provides a potential first-look at the structure and monetization of the unannounced title. Bungie’s Next IP Could Be A Free-to-Play Game, Job Listing Suggestshttps://t.co/dM4PX0sEeY — Destiny Bulletin (@DestinyBulletn) July 23, 2021 With the success of live-service titles like Call of Duty: Warzone, Valorant, and Apex Legends (both in terms of player engagement and cash flow via monetization), Bungie appears to be taking those trends into consideration while developing their next IP. Other upcoming titles like 343’s Halo Infinite have already adopted a free-to-play approach with their multiplayer offering, and we could see more devs adopt that trend as well. Finally, Bungie has already shifted towards a live-service content model for Destiny 2. Purchasable seasons (including season passes) have become the main focus of most new content drops in the game outside of yearly expansions, and fans could see that carry over into the studio’s new IP. These features haven’t been confirmed by Bungie at the time of writing (no surprise, with the launch of their new IP still several years away), but live-service and free-to-play features appear to be substantial pieces of the studio’s approach to their first new franchise in over a decade.

  • Bungie admits Destiny 2 difficulty is “too low”, teases Lightfall changes – Dexerto

Bungie admits Destiny 2 difficulty is “too low”, teases Lightfall changes BungieBungie has announced in a new blog post that they believe Destiny 2’s difficulty is too low. As such they’ve announced changes coming to both Guardians and enemies alike as Lightfall launches. Lightfall is quickly approaching in Destiny 2, and with it, Bungie has revealed some major changes as they revamp the game. Some of these tweaks have come in the form of new tackles on seasonal content, whilst others have involved revamping older ritual playlists that have found in need of love. Alongside this, Bungie has made plans for huge system revamps, such as the crafting system, which has been effectively streamlined to remove the hassle from players. However, another major change Bungie announced on February 13 was towards difficulty in the game. Bungie has admitted in the post that they believe the game’s difficulty is “too low” in its current form, stating that “we feel like the baseline challenge in most of our content is just too low”. As such, they’re making some major changes to the game, with both tweaks to guardians and their enemies coming in Lightfall. Bungie has revealed that they’ll be looking specifically at guardian abilities to tune and bring down, noting that they want to “moderately increase ability recharge time across a wide selection of our abilities”. This falls in line with Bungie’s ideals of making the game more weapon-focused, rather than having abilities dominate. They also mentioned nerfs coming towards resilience, adjusting the damage reduction received whilst also increasing the cost of resilience armor mods by 1 for both major and minor mods. Alongside this, the enemies of the Light will be getting a bit of a tune-up. Bungie has announced that they’ll be upping the difficulty in regular activities, similar to that of the Heist Battlegrounds playlist. According to Bungie, they use a difficulty knob that enforces just how over-leveed they let players be in comparison to the enemies they are fighting. It appears that Bungie will be tinkering with this feature to ensure that content remains difficult for those who are over-leveled for the content.

  • Bully, GTA San Andreas, more classics brought to next-gen by AI – Dexerto

Bully, GTA San Andreas, more classics brought to next-gen by AI ECarterLennon via RedditClassic characters from Grand Theft Auto, Bully, Duke Nukem, and more were given ‘remasters’ using an AI tool to recreate their pixelated portraits into perfect next-gen portrayals. The gaming industry has been loving its remakes and remasters in the past few years, but there are still some iconic protagonists on the waitlist for their updated debut. Some remasters are more likely than others, so one fan got creative on how to upgrade their looks. But not all characters are worthy of next-gen upgrades, seeing as they also put Pac-Man and Blinky (the red ghost) through the AI. While Blinky looked fine, Pac-Man was a cursed creation that was better left off the list. Either way, people were digging the AI-created characters for how crisp (most) of them turned out, which made some wish actual remakes were on the way. The Reddit post has popped off with over 30k upvotes and ample love (awards) from audiences, most of who weren’t exactly ready to scroll to Pac-Man. But the human renditions were great, with the AI making some immaculate creations using real-life inspirations. “A fun little fact is that the AI loves to fancast actors,” user ‘ECarterLennon’ said. “When I was doing some more realistic generations (which maybe I’ll post separately) the AI basically gave me what looks like Tom Cruise as Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) and Ryan Gosling as JC Denton (Deus Ex).” Onlookers noticed that Bully’s Jimmy looked remarkably similar to former Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney while Duke Nukem was associated with Gary Busey. For people who scrolled through to the end, they may have been taken aback by Pac-Man, but other than that monstrosity the AI managed to provide great mock-ups.

  • Bully remake in Unreal Engine 5 looks incredible, but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Bully remake in Unreal Engine 5 looks incredible, but there’s a catch Rockstar GamesRumors of a Bully, or Canis Canem Edit, remake simply won’t die down and a trailer has shown what it could look like on the Unreal Engine 5. Rockstar Games’ track record of game development is well established and they have had very few swings and misses over the last couple of decades. Bully is a prime example of the company doing something different and it paying off remarkably. Apart from controversy about its name, Bully has remained a favorite for many over the years, with some even going as far as to call it Rockstar’s magnum opus. There have been constant calls for either a sequel or even just a remake of the original. Thanks to one fanmade trailer project, we now have a reasonable idea of what that could look like – FYI, it’s pretty cool. Fanmade Bully remake trailer looks amazing YouTube channel TeaserPlays describes itself as a: “Graphics Designer studio that has made its reputation with its High-Quality 3D animations for feature short films, concept trailers, within the video game industry.” Their most recent project is the aforementioned Bully trailer and it features two minutes of a refreshed and revitalized Jimmy Hopkins during his stay at Bullworth Academy. It shows off sun-lit corridors, a greater representation of the Tenements’ dank squaller, and the modern vibe of school classrooms. The 2006 title was created using the old RenderWare engine, whereas this trailer shows off the game on the award-winning Unreal Engine 5. The facial expressions and the lip-syncing aren’t quite as point as everything else, but nevertheless, it’s a superbly well-done trailer that shows what fans could be experiencing if Rockstar made some form of new Bully content. Its lighting and refined textures are a prime example of how far we’ve come in gaming and TeaserPlays even shared a comparison video of the authentic gameplay versus the fanmade trailer. Leaks still suggest that Rockstar is not just purely working on the development of GTA 6 and that we will still see new Bully material in the future. Whether we will or not remains to be seen.

  • Bully 2 teaser discovered in Red Dead Redemption 2 – Dexerto

Bully 2 teaser discovered in Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar GamesA considerable amount of interest has built up surrounding a potential new Bully game and an interesting new teaser has been found in Red Dead Redemption 2. The first Bully game released back in 2006 and was actually renamed Canis Canem Edit for editions outside the United States, following controversy about the encouragement of bullying in the original title name. Clearly, the game had its fair share of critics, but that didn’t stop it from going on to sell over 1.5 million copies across the world. Now, 13 years after its initial launch, players think its return for a second installment is very much in the works. After all, the clues are certainly stacking up. While many previous clues have generally been found in leaked information, whether that be a supposed 2020 release date for next-gen consoles, protagonist screenshots and more, this new teaser has actually been found inside one of Rockstar’s games – RDR2. A screenshot from the game was uploaded to the Bully subreddit by user CipsTR on September 11, which appears to show a wanted poster featuring Meredith Hopkins – with a cash reward being placed on her head. The poster reads: “Wanted dead or alive. Meredith Hopkins fatally shot her neighbor’s farm hand in a FIT OF RAGE. The boy was caught trespassing on her property.” 600For those who aren’t aware, Hopkins is the second name of Bully’s main protagonist, who is called Jimmy Hopkins. That’s the connection that many people have been making online. While this could just be a total coincidence, or a troll from developers, fans are actually quite split about this being another indication that a new game is actually in the works. A skeptical fan posted: “How is this a Bully reference? Because her last name is Hopkins?”, which was met with a few responses from members of the online community. “Rockstar is leaving a lot of references and clues in its recent games and updates, it has to be true,” one responded, while another said: “Out of all of the potential names they could’ve gone with, they chose Hopkins. That doesn’t look a tad bit suspicious to you?” Some would like to see more hints dropped in Red Dead moving forward, while others argued that they would like Rockstar to cut right to the chase and make the announcement official. The whole idea of a Bully 2 project remains shrouded in mystery, with nothing to work on except leaks and potential teasers such as this, but there’s no doubt that people are growing impatient about an announcement.

  • In-game screenshot of Bully 2 apparently leaked, but is it real? – Dexerto

In-game screenshot of Bully 2 apparently leaked, but is it real? Speculation about the potential for a sequel to Rockstar’s classic ‘Bully’ game has been picking up steam in 2019, so when a supposed in-game screenshot was leaked it immediately attracted attention – but is it real? Bully, also known as Canis Canem Edit (Latin for ‘dog eat dog’) in some countries, was first released in 2006, and since then news of a sequel has been quiet, with Rockstar’s attention focused firmly on Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. With Red Dead Redemption 2 now ticked off the list, and no official word yet on a GTA 6 (although there have been plenty of ‘leaks’), Bully 2 could be the next logical step. The most recent leak, on August 7, claimed that an “anonymous Rockstar source” had alluded to a 2020 release date for Bully 2, on both current and next-gen consoles. Read More: New GTA 6 story leak is absolutely insane – Some dismissed such a close release window however, given Rockstar would likely have already teased something if it really was coming next year, but perhaps this new screenshot could provide more answers. The screenshot was apparently first shared by YouTuber TheNathanNS, who himself claims it was sent by yet another anonymous source, who he elects to keep anonymous to avoid any ‘trouble’. H/T: ComicBook Is the leaked Bully 2 screenshot real? There are a few features of this image which could grant it some legitimacy, but there’s also others which might render it entirely fake. The font used for the menu lettering may be familiar – it’s the same as was used in the anniversary edition of the original Bully. Although TheNathanNS reckons this could make it more legitimate, it could also suggest that a forger used the font style out of laziness, or to give the impression that it was a true sequel. TheNathanNS remains somewhat convinced however, pointing out the likeness of the design to other graphics in the Bully franchise. I’ve been doing a lot of digging on that image. It matches up too perfectly with Rockstar’s other designs. Example: the pause menu font/colours for Bully AE and the comic book styled artwork. It’s too perfectly consistent to be a fake IMO. pic.twitter.com/Dv83dw7TZM — Nathan S (@TheNathanNS) August 14, 2019 It’s certainly possible that this is a legitimate screenshot, but there’s every chance it’s a complete fabrication too. For now, fans eager for Bully 2 will simply have to be patient and wait for an official Rockstar announcement, if there is to be one at all.

  • Bully 2’s protagonist may have been leaked in new screenshot – Dexerto

Bully 2’s protagonist may have been leaked in new screenshot Rockstar GamesUpdate 8/29/19 at 1:11 PM EST: It looks like the leak is confirmed to be fake and comes from an image posted to a forum nine years ago. Looks like this is fake. Character in the top left corner is made in APB Reloaded and was posted to a forum 9 years ago (https://t.co/2griyJtTPn), the image was simply flipped. Credit to @nekrovmustdie for the find. https://t.co/dHDPDAyPwl pic.twitter.com/mQnyjdIyeg — Yan2295 (@Yan2295) August 29, 2019 Original story below… Yet another supposed Bully 2 screenshot has leaked, and this time, it could give hopeful fans their first clear look at the game’s protagonist. Fans have been waiting with bated breath for any hint of Bully 2 news ever since its predecessor released way back in late 2006. While re-releases and remasters of the original have released since, there’s never been any official news of a sequel. The first supposed in-game screenshot from Bully 2 was shared by YouTuber ‘TheNathanNS’ on August 14, and seemed to depict the game’s pause menu. Another similar photo closely followed on August 27, and now on August 28, yet another has surfaced – in Japanese this time. Bully 2’s protagonist The latest ‘screenshot’ to leak online comes from Japanese Twitter user ‘@Lumeja’, and while most of it has been scribbled out, a few details have been left visible – including an image of what the game’s protagonist could look like. Like the first image, the image appears to be the game’s menu and includes a portrait of a person in the top left corner. This time, however, it is much more clear. Read More: Borderlands 3 PC requirements – Unfortunately, his face is obscured by sunglasses so it’s difficult to make out any distinct features, but he does sport dark brown locks – unlike Jimmy Hopkins’ shaved head in the first game. 600It is unclear as to whether this is a brand new protagonist, or it’s simply Jimmy with customization options on, much like in the Grand Theft Auto games where you can edit a character’s hair and clothing features. Another interesting feature about the image is that it features a link to Rockstar’s Social Club – something that’s been a part of its games since its introduction in 2008’s GTA IV. The second leaked screenshot showed a hub for a smartphone companion app, so having the Club connected too isn’t such a far-fetched idea. As for the leaked screenshot posted on August 28, Lumeja had some questions of their own when it came to the legitimacy of the image. They circled certain sections in red, asking in Japanese whether some of the words were too spaced out to be real, and if ‘Social Club’ was supposed to be in English or not. They were also curious as to why the currency would be dollars and not Japanese yen, but the fact that Rockstar is a Western developer could be an easy explanation for that. Read More: Is Overwatch coming to Nintendo Switch? – “#SETcollabhiden 櫻井さん、ご確認ください。m(_ _)m #bully #project,” the user said in a now-deleted tweet, alongside the image. According to ‘nioizoizuru‘ on the Bully 2 subreddit, the tweet caption reads “Please check with Mr Sakurai.” The meaning of this is unknown. Of course, with every supposed ‘leak’, take everything that hasn’t been confirmed as real by the developer itself with a pinch of salt.

  • Bully 2 potentially teased in GTA Online Casino update – Dexerto

Bully 2 potentially teased in GTA Online Casino update Rockstar GamesThe Grand Theft Auto Online ‘Diamond & Casino Resort’ update brought many new things to the multiplayer service, but one thing that wasn’t expected was a potential Bully 2 tease. GTA Online players waited almost six years for the Casino to open its doors, and it finally did when the Diamond & Casino resort update dropped on July 23. One of the things the patch added was the ‘Decorations Management’ feature, which allows players to decorate and spruce up their penthouse’s appearance. Eagle-eyed fans have since found a Bully easter egg in the feature that could be viewed as a potential tease for the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 action-adventure game. “Dog eat dog” Decorating your penthouse comes with many different options – one of them being wall art and posters. In this section, players spotted a print called “Canis Canem Edit”, which is what Bully was renamed in Europe after the name sparked controversy and fear it’d influence violence. Canis Canem Edit is Latin for “dog eat dog” and presumably was used as the replacement title because of the famous saying ‘it’s a dog eat dog world’. While it could just be a simple easter egg, fans on Reddit don’t seem to think so, and have spent hours trying to crack it, with some even thinking that the red dots on the wall art could be morse code. If you look closely, Rockstar credits the print’s artist as ‘Mathew Morse’ – something that reinforces the idea of some kind of code being involved somehow. Is it actually morse code? Reddit user ‘MareeCena’ revealed that a few people have been trying to crack the potential code, and there are some theories as to what it could mean. “Here’s what each picture stands for, starting from top left: 4, Then the next picture is either: A, N or G, then the bottom left is A and then bottom right: D.” user ‘snort_cannon’ commented. “Non Disclosure Agreement? Nearly Announced Development?” MareeCena replied. The other main theory is that Mathew Morse could actually be the name of a character in Bully 2. None of this is confirmed though, and Rockstar has yet to say anything officially. If this is indeed a hint at the next Bully instalment, Rockstar’s cryptic teaser definitely has fans scratching their heads. Will they ever work out what it means? We’ll keep you updated on any future developments.

  • Bully 2 leaked screenshots that fooled everyone debunked – Dexerto

Bully 2 leaked screenshots that fooled everyone debunked Rockstar GamesA concept artist has revealed that they have taken Bully fans for a ride with their ideas for Bully 2 being portrayed as actual leaks. Bully, which was also released under the name Canis Canem Edit, was a hit on PlayStation 2 and Xbox back in 2006. The Rockstar Games title proved so popular, in fact, that it has been given a number of re-releases for the newer generation of consoles. The nostalgia and different backdrop to other Rockstar titles have left fans questioning when a new game would be released. A former developer confirmed that the sequel had, at one point, been canceled. Yet, new supposed ‘screenshots’ of the title have surfaced recently, leaving fans wondering if they would be heading back to Bullworth and reprising the role of Jimmy Hopkins. Sadly, for anyone hoping that they will get their hands on the new release anytime soon, these leaked screenshots have been proved to be from Brazilian concept artist Felipe Borges. Instead, everyone will just have to go back into waiting for official word from Rockstar, even though most of the things they do is shrouded in mystery. There had been hope for a surprise announcement after eagle-eyed fans uncovered a mystery project entitled ‘Bonaire’ from the developers floating around. However, that appears to be linked to the eventual release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC – something that has been rumored for quite some time.

  • Everything we know about Bully 2: Leaks, teases, canceled build & more – Dexerto

Everything we know about Bully 2: Leaks, teases, canceled build & more Rockstar GamesIt feels like Rockstar has been teasing Bully 2 for years now, but will we ever get to return to the Bullworth Academy? Here’s everything we know about Bully 2. The original Bully, known as Canis Canem Edit (Latin for dog eat dog) in some regions, came out in 2006 and Rockstar has never ruled out a sequel. Rumors and alleged leaks pointing to a Bully 2 have been doing the rounds for years without anything concrete from Rockstar. With some sources claiming a Bully 2 announcement is imminent, we’ve decided to gather everything we know about the game in one place. Bully 2 remains unconfirmed at this stage, but more and more leaks and rumors are appearing, suggesting that Rockstar may be about to take your lunch money all over again. Contents Is there a Bully 2 release date yet? – Bully 2 was playable at one point – Is Bully 2 canceled? – Are there any teases from Rockstar? – Bully 2 possible settings – Is there a Bully 2 release date yet? Bully 2 has not been formally announced by Rockstar, therefore no release date has been provided. Bully 2 was playable at one point According to a fresh report from GameInformer, development on Bully 2 had “eight hours” of “fully rendered, fully realized” gameplay. Thanks to a team of around 50 to 70 people working on the game, Bully 2 was fully playable before Rockstar’s initial cancellation. However, development on some of Rockstar’s other leading projects caused progress on the game to be halted, and the company subsequently canceled the game. All this was taken from former employees of Rockstar New England. Not all of the assets for Bully 2 were scrapped though, as lots of the created material was reworked and used in later games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Is Bully 2 canceled? With all the new information that has come to light, it begs the ultimate question: “Has Bully 2 been canceled forever?” The real answer is quite simple: no one knows. Leaks and rumors have persisted for years, and the game did not appear at the 2021 Game Awards as rumored. However, a report from Game Informer suggests that Bully 2 was indeed canceled by Rockstar, and also states that it would have featured a morality system, meaning players may be able to walk the path of an anti-hero instead of a ruthless bully. Other mechanics such as tree climbing have also been reported. A former employee stated that the project was canceled in 2010 and was being worked on by Rockstar Vancouver. Of course, just because Bully 2 was canceled in one form doesn’t mean Rockstar couldn’t resurrect it in another. Therefore, take every report with a pinch of salt until Rockstar says otherwise. Evidence of the game’s existence was spotted in possible for Grand Theft Auto 5, including a possible GTA 5 DLC that was never made. However, if this leak is correct, then Bully 2 is indeed likely canceled. Are there any teases from Rockstar about Bully 2? According to a now-deleted tweet from industry insider Tom Henderson, we could see a Bully 2 announcement very soon. But this never materialized. In another series of tweets, Henderson mentioned some people have seen a “Playable version” of Bully 2 and that the game was supposed to be shown at the 2021 Game Awards, but nothing appeared. Another reliable leaker, SWEGTA corroborated Henderson’s story, tweeting, “Expect some Bully 2 news momentarily.” While both leakers have a reliable track record, we’d advise taking their words with a pinch of salt until Rockstar provides evidence that backs up their claims. Bullworth Academy baseball caps started to appear on Rockstar’s online store in 2019. Their appearance was considered surprising and possibly associated with the sequel, although others saw this as Rockstar simply selling merchandise related to one of their IPs and nothing to get too excited about. Then, in 2020, the phrase “Bullying the weak” was spotted on Rockstar’s official website in cryptic jumbled text. This was seen by some as a tease for the sequel, giving fans fresh hope that the franchise would continue. A mysterious job listing was also spotted earlier that year, looking for someone with a “deep appreciation” for the importance clothing plays in society. This also fuelled speculation that the game was in development. However, as of late 2023, there’s been no word on the game. Bully 2 possible settings At this time, we don’t know anything about the setting for Bully 2. If it is in development, it’s likely gone through several iterations before Rockstar decided on a final version. As the original game was released in 2006, it’s unlikely to resemble any early sequel ideas from this time. Jimmy, the protagonist from the first game, could return, however, the sequel would need to be set in the late 2000s if the character was to still be in school. While it’s only speculation on our part, we imagine Rockstar would be more likely to create a new playable character in an updated version of Bullworth Academy. This would allow the game to make use of a more modern setting, as well as all the gameplay opportunities this brings. This is exactly what Rockstar does in their GTA and Red Dead franchises, creating a new character to exist in a new era, even if the setting is similar. School and even bullying, have evolved in this digital age, so it would be interesting to see how Rockstar updates this challenging topic in the series. As this is a highly sensitive subject, the company would need to tread carefully, finding a way to make an entertaining videogame without glamorizing bullying or abuse. Therefore, until Rockstar formally confirms Bully 2, take all of the above with a huge spoonful of salt. We will keep you updated right here, if and when any updates arrive. In the meantime, why not keep up to date with many other games scheduled for release: The Elder Scrolls 6 | GTA 6 | Wolverine | KOTR Remake | Wonder Woman | Dragon Age 4 | The Witcher 3 next-gen patch | Avatar Frontiers of Pandora | Phantom Blade Zero

  • Bully 2 lead dev reveals game details before Rockstar canceled it – Dexerto

Bully 2 lead dev reveals game details before Rockstar canceled it Take-Two InteractiveBully 2’s former Project Lead has shared details about the title as it existed in 2013 before Rockstar Games pulled the plug. Rumors and leaks regarding Bully 2 have circulated for the last several years. In 2019, sources familiar with Rockstar’s operations claimed Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser worked with a small team in 2008 to outline sequel possibilities. This version of the project didn’t last very long. But Bully reared its head again somewhere between Red Dead Redemption’s May 2010 rollout and 2013. During this period, a crew at Rockstar New England – formerly Mad Doc Software – spent 18 months producing a concept and vertical slice. Reportedly, these efforts culminated in a playable Bully 2 build using Rockstar’s proprietary RAGE technology. It, too, ended up falling by the wayside. Now new information has surfaced about this iteration of the sequel. Ex-Rockstar lead shares fresh details about Bully 2 Speaking to an unnamed developer who worked on the sequel’s 2013 build, YouTuber SWEGTA learned it would’ve taken place roughly six months after the original. A slightly taller Jimmy once more served as the protagonist, returning to his hometown with various tasks laid out before him. According to the ex-Rockstar developer, the New England team created about 16 missions, some of which involved Jimmy rescuing kids at a summer camp. In addition, the former lead claimed the vertical slice boasted approximately six to eight hours of playable content. A proper beginning and ending hadn’t come to fruition at this juncture, but the sandbox was “fully rendered, fully realized.” As such, the game loops were there, manifested in kart racing and several other GTA-style minigames. The open world itself bore an “Americana summer vacation style,” vibrant and full of life. Fans have likely seen as much in leaked concept art, which the developer confirmed did indeed come from the New England crew’s version of Bully 2. Overall, the concept didn’t deviate too far from the original adventure. Non-lethal attacks had returned, along with a bow and arrow weapon that replaced arrowheads with plungers. But there was an effort to push the limits by blurring the line between T and M-rated games while still upholding the ESRB’s “Teen” requirements. Bigger ideas were formulated during the 18-month period, too, such as Jimmy’s ability to have pets and make in-game acquaintances that remembered him throughout the story. The ex-dev said these recognizable concepts present in Red Dead 2 were “all ideations from Bully 2.” Developers had expanded upon the cliques, or factions, as well. The system worked dynamically, such that players who joined a faction and acted against it could be summarily kicked out. On top of the faction and remembrance systems, the team also built Mass Effect-like “good vs evil” morality choices, akin to Bully but far more in-depth. However, none of these efforts were final, not until the Houser brothers gave their seal of approval. Evidently, their seal of approval stopped short of the project’s continued development and completion.

  • When is Rockstar’s Bully 2 game coming out? Release date, rumors, leaks and more – Dexerto

When is Rockstar’s Bully 2 game coming out? Release date, rumors, leaks and more The hype for Rockstar’s next game is growing and it might not be Grand Theft Auto 6. If rumors are to be believed, a Bully 2 game could be next. Bully – Rockstar’s lesser known game With so much attention given to Grand Theft Auto, and even the Red Dead Redemption series, Bully may be an unknown entity to some. It released in 2006 on the PS2. It has since been remastered for the Xbox 360/Xbox One and is also available on the Wii and mobile platforms. Read More: When is GTA 6 coming out? Rumors, release date, story and more for the next Grand Theft Auto game – Bully is an action-adventure game where you navigate your way around the town of Bullworth. It has been praised as a game which was ahead of its time, but is considered a controversial game even today with critics accusing it of glorifying or trivializing bullying. The classic game has developed somewhat of a cult following and many of its fans are hopeful that a sequel will materialize. The good news for them is that there are rumors that a Bully 2 game may be in the works. Is Bully 2 coming? While there has been nothing official surrounding a potential Bully 2 release, there have been interesting developments which suggests it is very much in the pipeline. Casting call The first clue appears to be a mistake from Pinewood Studios Casting Director, Jessica Jeffries, who promoted a casting call for a “new unannounced video game”. Furthermore, the role specified younger participants. It was also confirmed that the scenes would contain mild violence and profanity. This certainly sounds like a description of a casting call for Bully 2. The casting for this project is now complete. The project is not Bully 2 and we were looking for professional, UK based performers. I have been inundated with emails from people wanting to be a part of the project and I apologise for not being able to reply to everyone. — Jessica Jefferies (@jessicajcasting) October 22, 2018 Interestingly, Jeffries even went out her way to state, on multiple occasions, that the casting call wasn’t for Bully 2. However, that is what somebody would say if Rockstar felt she had revealed too much information about a yet to be announced game. In addition to this, Pinewood Studios followed Rockstar Games on various forms of social media, an act they have historically reserved for companies they are working with. Actual confirmation from a developer? Technical Designer, Alex Martens, who has been working at Rockstar Games since August 2016, appears to have directly confirmed the development of Bully 2. On two separate Bully 2 related videos, Martens commented that it is in development. Now, a YouTube account can be set up by anyone with anyone’s name so this is by no means conclusive evidence that Bully 2 is official. However, a quick check of the YouTube channel in question showed it was made back in 2013. This, at least, provides a little more validity to the claim. Since then, ‘Alex Martens’ has changed his name on YouTube, removed pictures and made his subscription list private. Somebody else in the know? In a Reddit post from January 2019, “InfamousIan” claimed a source of theirs said that Bully 2 was 80% completed. Moreover, they also claimed that the aforementioned casting call was indeed for Bully 2. Elsewhere, someone who claims to work for Take-Two Interactive says Rockstar are planning a surprise announcement. On the now deleted Reddit post, they commented: “Let’s just say that E3 2019 will completely blindside you with one of Rockstar’s announcements.” E3 2019 has since come and gone without even a whisper or a Rockstar announcement, though. They went on to say: “We are building a landing page for Take-Two right now for something unannounced.” Of course this could be the hugely anticipated GTA 6. However, and perhaps more likely, is a Bully 2 announcement. What game will be announced remains complete speculation though. Was Bully 2 canceled? Rumors surfaced in July 2019 that Bully 2 had been in development all the way back in 2009. This means a sequel was planned in a relatively short time following the original. Bully enthusiast SWEGTA has done a lot of research on the development of Bully 2 and found quotes from a developer who worked at Rockstar back in 2009. He discovered plans for the game were scrapped in favor of focusing development on Red Dead Redemption, putting a Bully successor on the shelf indefinitely. A lot of time has passed since then though, and this can be considered a mere footnote in the Bully development saga as current indications are that it is indeed in development. Bully 2 release date Rockstar Games don’t release games often. When they do, it is usually of the highest standard. Consequently, with Red Dead Redemption 2 releasing in October 2018, Bully 2 might be a little while away yet. A 2019 release seems too soon given there hasn’t been any form of Bully 2 announcement. A release near the arrival of the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett, which are both expected in the fall of 2020, is more likely. Then there is also the question of when the inevitable GTA 6 will release. This is assuming that a Bully 2 release will come before GTA 6. There is also the alternative that the PS5 does release in November 2020, as expected, and that Grand Theft Auto 6 will release the following year. Polygon leaked Bully 2, since claim it was a mistake Out of nowhere on July 28, Polygon posted an article “Bully fans think they’ve found secret news of a sequel” which discussed the hint of a Bully 2 release in GTA Online. The importance of the article came in the URL though, which was “bully-sequel-announced-fall-2020-news-embargoed-do-not-publish” – woops. The Internet immediately jumped on it, believing Polygon had revealed Rockstar’s next release Bully 2 for the Fall of 2020,. However, the excitement was short lived when the page was updated with “Our original joke URL for this post has been changed. Sorry if that got your hopes up.” It did get our hopes up, it did. Since then author of the article, Owen S. Good, took full responsibility for the mistake saying: “Well, I am dining on one tasty plate of crow right now. That was a joke/troll URL. Yes it was a dumb idea. I was the only one involved in its creation (i.e. nobody else here laughed and said go for it). We’re changing it. Oh hell yeah I regret this. Not worth it and won’t do it again.” Who knows maybe the leak was a genuine mistake and Good is just covering Polygon – only time will tell. Regardless, a Bully 2 game and its subsequent release is all speculation at this point. It will likely tie around GTA 6, but we can’t be for certain. These are all rumors from unofficial sources. The evidence suggests that Bully 2 is more a ‘when’ rather than an ‘if,’ but even so, hopes should be managed accordingly. Last updated 05:13 ET, July 29, 2019

  • Bully 2 had “fully playable” content before Rockstar’s initial cancellation – Dexerto

Bully 2 had “fully playable” content before Rockstar’s initial cancellation Rockstar GamesA new report details that development on Bully 2 had made significant progress and that the game was partially playable prior to its initial cancellation at Rockstar New England. Bully 2 has been something of an urban legend on the internet. Rockstar’s schoolyard smash took the gaming world by storm in 2006 and fans have been clamoring for a sequel ever since. While whispers of a new game in the franchise have been appearing online for years, GameInformer has now confirmed that the development team had made significant progress on the title before games like Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV caused the project to fizzle out. Bully 2 had hours of playable content prior to being canceled After interviewing several former Rockstar New England employees, Blake Hester reported that major work had gone down on the follow-up to the ’06 title. In his report, Hester writes of the studio’s progress with the game: “Three people say almost the entire studio worked on Bully 2, at some point, with overall headcount estimations being around 50 to 70 people.” Marc Anthony Rodriguez, a former analyst for Rockstar and one of the leads on Bully: Scholarship Edition suggests that roughly eight hours of the game was “fully rendered, fully realized.” In one conversation, an anonymous dev revealed that many of the pieces that were intended for Bully 2 eventually made their way into games like Max Payne 3 and even 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2. Read More: Bully 2: Leaks, teases & everything we know – When referencing RDR2, one dev explained that the way NPCs react to Arthur Morgan depending on his Honor level came from the building blocks of Bully 2: “The way that you interact with other characters in the world, more than just with your gun or with your fist, they have some sense of memory – a lot of that stuff [originated in Bully 2.]” While the project was reportedly put on ice as more and more of the New England studio got pulled away to other projects, there have been some rumors suggesting that it could resurface in the coming weeks.

  • Sources claim Rockstar have scrapped Bully 2 development – Dexerto

Sources claim Rockstar have scrapped Bully 2 development Rockstar GamesAccording to a new leak, Rockstar spent more than a year working on a sequel to the original Bully in the early 2010s, but the project failed to get off the ground. The original Bully game came out in 2006 and was a hit with Rockstar fans, but since then, any news or updates for a potential sequel are few and far between. There have been a few apparent Bully Easter Eggs found in other Rockstar games, like Red Dead Redemption 2, and supposed leaks about a Bully sequel, but so far, there’s nothing concrete from Rockstar themselves. Rockstar has taken a shot at Bully 2 already VideoGamesChronicle has apparently heard from a source inside Rockstar that claims the so-called Bully 2 sequel was in development in the early 2010s, but was scrapped shortly after it began. Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser and a group of developers apparently wrote a script for Bully as early as 2008, which contained the first few scenes and an outline of the rest of the story, according to VGC’s sources. The story would have starred Jimmy, who was the protagonist of the first game, and many returning characters. It began at Jimmy’s step-dad’s house in the summer at the end of a school year, VGC’s source said, which are similar to claims reported by Bully YouTuber SWEGTA. A team at Rockstar New England spent time fleshing out the game and it’s story around the same time in 2010 and 2013, the source claimed, and spent between a year and 18 months on the sequel. So, why don’t we have a Bully sequel already? According to VGC’s sources, Bully 2 “fizzled out,” and the team behind development eventually moved on to other projects. “It existed, it was playable, it was just a shame it never got off the ground,” the source told VGC, who also pointed out that a lot of developers who worked at Rockstar New England during that time period list an “unannounced game” on their resumes. Will we ever get a Bully 2? Speculation about Bully 2 has been running wild recently, with fans apparently finding clues all over the place – even in a recent GTA Online Casino update. There was even talk floating around that Rockstar could reveal Bully 2 at E3 2019, but that turned out to be just a rumor, as E3 came and went. Red Dead Redemption fans had to wait almost a decade between the first game and RDR2, so if a Bully sequel ever does come out it, would be more than a decade between games – and hopefully well worth the wait.

  • Bully 2 reportedly coming in 2020 for current and next-gen consoles – Dexerto

Bully 2 reportedly coming in 2020 for current and next-gen consoles RockstarA new video from YouTuber SWETGA claims the next game in Rockstar’s Bully franchise will be coming out in 2020. The first Bully game was originally released over a decade ago but dedicated fans haven’t forgotten about the title and are patiently waiting for a sequel. Bully fans have had to wait even longer than Red Dead fans did. Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 and the sequel in 2018, while Bully originally came out in 2006, which would make it 14 years in between games if SWETGA’s leak is legit. When will Bully 2 come out? The YouTuber said he has been in contact with an “Anonymous Rockstar Games insider”, who was the source of the latest Bully 2 leak. “The way they (Rockstar) are going about this has completely changed,” SWETGA quoted his source as saying. “As it stands they are aiming to release their next game during the holiday season in 2020 (most likely October or November.)” SWETGA’s video also claimed that Rockstar is looking to release Bully 2 on current and next-gen consoles – similar to what they did with Grand Theft Auto V. “The motive for this is purely financial,” the source said according to the video. “Just like with GTA V on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Red Dead 2 came out in October 2018, which is in a similar time frame described by the YouTuber’s Rockstar insider, and right before the holidays is when we see a lot of big games released. • Brutal Helldivers 2 bug makes heavy armor completely useless – Dexerto

Brutal Helldivers 2 bug makes heavy armor completely useless Arrowhead Game StudiosHelldivers 2 is as unforgiving a game as they come but a nasty bug impacting its Armor Rating system might cause players opting for heavy armor even more grief. Helldivers 2 is quickly approaching sleeper hit status. Some hiccups with the servers at launch slowed things down a little but having too many players wanting to dive in at once is a good problem to have. Players have fallen in love with its seamless multiplayer experience and fast-paced action. Something about using Helldivers 2’s suite of guns and impactful Strategems to annihilate hordes of Termanids and Automatons is uniquely satisfying. Of course, bringing glorious democracy to a troubled galaxy is fraught with peril but it might be more perilous for players in heavy armor. Reddit user u/Wulfrayne has revealed a quick test that shows a possible bug that completely neutralizes the effects of Armor Rating and Extra Padding. The player’s test shows two builds with a massive gap in Armor Rating eating damage from a Scavenger to determine the amount of hits it takes to die. A build with an Armor Rating of 56 and one with an Armor Rating of 144 each die in six hits. This means that there is seemingly no benefit to heavy armor but the drawbacks on agility and movement speed still apply. Heavily armored players are effectively unable to tank hits and can’t widen the gap between enemies as well as lightly armored players in Helldivers 2. Players in the comments noted that agility seems to be a far more useful trait in Helldivers 2, though this bug could be why. “You’re just overwhelmed too easily,” one Helldiver said. “Mobility has kept me damage-free far more often.” Many players are reporting similar issues with Helldivers 2’s heavy armor sets. “I tried heavy for the first time last night and just thought it wasn’t worth it,” one user reported. “Didn’t feel like it took that much more damage considering how slow it is.” Some Helldivers jokingly accused u/Wulfrayne of spreading “bug propaganda” to weaken morale and even threatened to report them to their “local democracy officer”. Others didn’t seem to be perturbed by the issues with heavy armor in Helldivers 2. “Good info,” a player conceded. “I will continue only using heavy armor regardless.” Apparently, in the battle for democracy, drip is just as important as efficacy.

  • Broken Roads is a bold RPG from a land down under and it should be on your radar – Dexerto

Broken Roads is a bold RPG from a land down under and it should be on your radar Drop Bear BytesBroken Roads, a new RPG from developers Drop Bear Bytes, is a bold new experience that looks to take players through a choice-driven, narrative journey in a post-apocalyptic Australia. RPGs haven’t been the most popular genre in recent generations. The expansive story-based gameplay can be a deterrent for those looking for faster-paced, action-heavy titles. However, with the meteoric rise of Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s got gamers around the globe paying more attention to the genre than ever before. This makes it the perfect time for newcomer Broken Roads to come into play. The Australian-made RPG by developer Drop Bear Bytes is looking to give its own spin on the formula. Dexerto was able to grab a hands-on preview of the title whilst at PAX Australia, and here’s what we thought. The realm of the Down Under One of the first things we admired about Broken Roads was its immaculate art style. The game looked fantastic and did a particularly good job of capturing the Aussie Outback’s colors and sunburnt sights. This immensely helped the tone of the game, as the more gritty outlandish style felt right at home in this post-apocalyptic tale. We also learned from the developers that they were inspired by real locations from Australia, which gave the game’s location a truly authentic feel. Visiting these real-world locales to not only inspire the art design, but to record ambient sounds just adds to the overall immersion when you’re sitting down and soaking it all in. A tale from Australia, voiced by Australians One of the biggest misfortunes of big video game developers is the tough time they have really nailing the idea of an Australian character. Oftentimes they’ll overdo the accent and present something that doesn’t feel quite Australian, more a caricature of one. Fortunately, Broken Roads hits the nail right on the head, getting Australian voice actors to voice Australian characters, and putting in Australian slang with translations as well. This all comes together to make the game that much more authentic without overdoing it. Character creation and choices aplenty Another fantastic aspect of Broken Roads was the immensely deep character creation tool. Not only were there plenty of options in which to customize your character visually but there were multiple different stats to look at and choose from. Add on top of this a morally challenging questionnaire that helps form the basis of your character, one that can take half an hour in its own right, and you’ve got an exceptionally thorough start to enjoy before you even boot up the game. Broken Roads also features several origins players can pick from, and these will all change how you approach situations within the game. Origins will also change the starting area for the player. A unique, intricate Moral Compass System Arguably the most interesting part of Broken Roads is the way the game handles its morality system. Broken Roads features a unique Morality Compass, which is broken down into four areas of moral philosophy. Each time the player makes a choice, the game will shift the compass depending on that choice. Where other games may simply present good or bad decisions along the way, here things are far more nuanced. Every single action and reaction seems to have a much larger influence on who you are and how others perceive you. It’s quite a staggering accomplishment when seen in real-time, especially given the sheer amount of branching dialogue. The player will gain moral bonuses depending on where they currently stand on the Compass. This makes it a ridiculously in-depth system, that will definitely indulge strategic players. Broken Roads looks to be one of the more promising RPGs scheduled for release this year on November 14. With an in-depth morality system, deep meaningful choices in dialogue and combat, and an interesting location to boot, it’s definitely worth keeping a lookout for if you’re a hardcore fan of the genre. You can try out the demo for Broken Roads on their Steam page here.

  • Breaking WWE 2K22 announce tables also breaks the game – Dexerto

Breaking WWE 2K22 announce tables also breaks the game Visual ConceptsThere’s a strange glitch in WWE 2K22 that bugs a match if players break the announcer’s table, and it effectively puts a chokehold on the match should you run into it. As much as fans want to have fun with WWE 2K22, there’s been multiple gameplay bugs that’s been putting a damper on the overall experience. Visual Concepts have been trying to plug in all the holes that pop up, and they may have another one to address. People started noticing that CPU-controlled fighters would turn pacifist should the match get out of hand and the announcer’s table was broken as a result. As soon as the player performs an announcer table finisher, the opponent will just be in one spot for the remainder of the match – and more players are starting to encounter the strange bug. WWE players were alerted of the bug by one user who was baffled to come across it in their match and even said it was completely reproducible. “Yes, [it has a] 100% reproducible rate,” user ‘westjake’ said. “I can’t understand why it’s not fixed yet, this is game breaking for matches with AI. “It’s holding AI back and he cannot return to the ring in time, when counting is on, so it’s an instant win for the player.” It apparently made the rounds for other players seeing as one WWE fan said they “get it every single time I break an announce table.” There’s a few things on top of players’ WWE 2K22 wishlist for bugs they want the 2K team to fix, like the infinite load screen and the problems with tag team finishers. Still, the bizarre glitch with the game’s announcer tables makes a strange stopgap in the action, so we’ll see if Visual Concepts gets around to amending it.

  • British army commander reportedly leaks classified plans to improve tank in War Thunder – Dexerto

British army commander reportedly leaks classified plans to improve tank in War Thunder Gaijin EntertainmentA British War Thunder player who also serves in his nation’s armed forces might be in some hot water after they reportedly posted classified UK military documents in an effort to improve the Challenger 2 tank in-game. War Thunder is a multiplayer military vehicle combat sim produced by Gaijin Entertainment that lets players hop behind the wheel and battle it out with various tanks, trucks, planes, and ships from a variety of nations, including the U.K. As in any online game, WT players are always hoping that their favorite choice of vehicles will be next in line for a buff, and possibly in an effort to get devs moving quicker on the British tree, one user who says they’re a member of the U.K.’s armed forces actually posted classified specs on the Challenger 2 main battle tank on the game’s forums. You read that right. According to the UK Defense Journal, a user calling himself “Tidworth” — who describes themself as a commander of an actual Challenger 2 tank — posted certain parts of the vehicle’s Army Equipment Support Publication (like a car’s user manual, but for a tank) on the official War Thunder forums. It’s also worth mentioning that Tidworth is a town in England that’s the regiment headquarters of the Royal Tank Regiment — who operate the Challenger 2. UKDJ reported that the now-deleted post included images of the manual, that had the “UK RESTRICTED” label blacked out, and an “UNCLASSIFIED” mark apparently added in after the fact. “The cover, for instance, had basically everything except CHALLENGER 2 blacked out,” one forum user said, which begs the question: why would someone post what definitely seem to be classified documents online? To try make their favorite tank better, of course. Tidworth said they had a serious issue with a very specific part of the in-game design of the Challenger 2 (a Tier VII tank in WT). So, claiming to be an actual commander of the real-life vehicle, they decided to post the classified manual in all it’s technical glory to back up their argument. While Gaijin prides itself on having fairly accurate models of tanks and other military vehicles, they didn’t exactly welcome this secret info with open arms. But, with a fanbase comprised of people who love military tech, it’s no surprise the company has had to deal with classified documents before. “Last time such a document was shared that was claimed to be “unclassified” it was in fact still classified and was confirmed that it should never have been shared,” a forum moderator replied. “We make it very clear that we will not handle any source material unless it is publicly available and fully declassified with the rights to prove that.” Gaijin staff then added they’d received “written confirmation from MoD that this document remains classified” so of course they quickly removed the post and urged Tidworth not to post any more, while reminding him of the consequences as well. “By continuing to disseminate it you are in violation of the Official Secrets Act as stated by the warning on the cover of the document, an offense which can carry up to a 14 year prison sentence if prosecuted,” Gaijin mods reminded Tidworth. “Every time you post this you place us (International representatives of Gaijin), especially any UK citizens, in hot water as the warning so helpfully states that unauthorized retention of a protected document is an offense.” Now, it’s important to note that this may not have been a member of the UK armed forces, but not everyone has access to classified military documents. Either way, the Challenger 2 doesn’t seem like it’ll be getting an in-game upgrade despite Tidworth’s best efforts.

  • Brand-new Overwatch 2 looks revealed for Pharah, McCree, Reaper and Widowmaker – Dexerto

Brand-new Overwatch 2 looks revealed for Pharah, McCree, Reaper and Widowmaker Blizzard EntertainmentContinuing to upgrade characters for Overwatch 2, Blizzard Entertainment used BlizzConline to share some of the sleek redesigns for characters like Pharah, McCree, Reaper and Widowmaker. While Blizzard failed to share any news about Overwatch 2 during BlizzConline’s Opening Ceremony, the Overwatch team did get to share a ton of news about the game during a behind-the-scenes segment on opening day. After discussing the new maps coming to the game, New York and Rome, the development team also dove into character redesigns. While fans have been very conscious of graphical upgrades to the highly anticipated sequel, few could be sure exactly what sorts of visual upgrades were specifically planned. Exploring four of the Overwatch universe’s most renowned character designs, the devs shared new imagery of Pharah, McCree, Reaper and Widowmaker — two of the Overwatch unit, two from Blackwatch, all four representing unique aesthetics. In general, the design team discussed an effort to tighten up each character’s look for the upcoming title. That meant smoothing things out and accentuating the unique characteristics that make each of the game’s heroes so alluring. For McCree and Reaper, the artists decided to maintain a traditional look while highlighting their high-tech, futuristic complementary accessories. In McCree’s case, that means a more grizzled beard contrasted against a technologically enhanced shawl. In Reaper’s? The classic, ghoulish trenchcoat is amplified by intimidating shoulder pads and hellishly bladed elbow plates. I’m dressed to kill… Reaper’s ghostly new look for Overwatch 2. pic.twitter.com/00vfsFG2of — Overwatch (@PlayOverwatch) February 19, 2021 Now you have my attention. The futurist femme-fatale Widowmaker gets a new look for Overwatch 2. pic.twitter.com/v69CP14OV9 — Overwatch (@PlayOverwatch) February 19, 2021 With Widowmaker, they mentioned diving into the character’s backstory for inspiration after diving into areas for inspiration, some more buglike, some more like Tomb Raider. Eventually, they settled on emphasizing her “femme fatale” energy, like a futuristic Bond villain. And, finally, a personification of Overwatch herself, Pharah’s entire backstory is of devotion to justice and her kit is that of an Egyptian, human-sized Gundam who can rain down punishment upon evildoers. The team simply accentuated her look for Overwatch 2, emphasizing angles, brightening her colorway and, in a subtle detail, making her visor translucent. Although an official release date remains unavailable, fans are eagerly awaiting more news of the design team’s efforts and look forward to seeing more of the upgraded, revamped cast of heroes.

  • Bounty on ultra rare MTG LOTR One Ring card jumps to $2M – Dexerto

Bounty on ultra rare MTG LOTR One Ring card jumps to $2M WizardsThe bounty on Magic: The Gathering’s One Ring card has skyrocketed yet again all the way to a whopping $2,000,000. Card collectors could soon become very rich. Ever since Wizards announced that a rare one-of-a-kind One Ring card would be available in the crossover, fans have been desperate to find it. At first, collector Dan Bock offered $100,000 for it, but that was later eclipsed by card shop Dave & Adam’s who offered ten times that amount, raising the bounty to $1M. Now, the bounty on The Lord Of The Rings: Tales of Middle-earth collectible has been doubled all the way to $2M and it comes from an unlikely place. New $2M bounty issued for MTG One Ring card Spanish gaming store Gremio de Dregones says it’s offering 2 million euros for the card, which translates to about $2.1M USD. That’s not all, though. The shop is even offering to fly whoever finds the card to Valencia and pay for their accommodations – something the last bounty didn’t offer. However, this is a limited-time offer and the card must be in good condition for the bounty to be valid. Of course, if someone came into contact with that card, you’d hope they took good care of it. With The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set releasing on June 23, there’s no telling how much higher the bounty will rise. It’s like watching John Wick 3 and 4 play out in real life. We’ll have to see if anyone ends up taking Gremio de Dregones up on their offer or if whoever finds the One Ring card ends up the precious collectible for themselves. Where can I buy MTG The Lord Of The Rings: Tales of Middle-earth cards? If you’re searching for The One Ring card, then you’ll be looking to purchase Collector Boosters, as these are the only packs where the ultra-rare card might be found. • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Borderlands spin-off release date, story & gameplay – Dexerto

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Borderlands spin-off release date, story & gameplay Gearbox SoftwareThe developers behind the Borderlands franchise are working on a quirky spin-off starring the series favorite Tiny Tina. Here’s all you need to know about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, including the release date, trailers, and what to expect in the gameplay. The Borderlands series has become one of the biggest names in gaming, after three successful mainline entries and numerous collections and DLCs. The chaotic looter-shooter is well-known for its frantic gunplay and hilarious characters. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a brand new entry, and while it’s not got a big number on the end, it’s a standalone Borderlands game — meaning plenty of guns to earn and people to shoot. Here’s everything we know so far about the latest game in the Borderlands series, from the gameplay to the adventure players will be embarking on. Contents Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands trailers We’ve had a couple of peaks at the game so far, first in the reveal trailer from E3 2021 and a story trailer from The Game Awards. Take a look at both below: Announcement trailer Story trailer Gameplay trailer Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands release date Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released on Friday, March 25, 2022, confirmed in the trailer shown at The Game Awards. We originally only had a window of early 2022, but we now have a concrete date to put in the diary. This marks almost three years since the last mainline entry in the Borderlands franchise. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands platforms The new Borderlands spin-off is set to launch on the following platforms: PlayStation 4 (PS4) – PlayStation 5 (PS5) – Xbox One – Xbox Series X|S – Windows – Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands story This new title follows on from the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC from Borderlands 2, which saw players hop into a game of “Bunkers and Badasses,” a tabletop RPG. Wonderlands transports us back into the Dungeons & Dragons-themed world, with Tiny Tina taking on the role of the dungeon master. Read More: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands preview – Players assume the role of The Fatemaker, the only one who can defeat the “ultimate evil” and restore peace to the fantasy realm. Other characters will show up to aid our journey, including a robotic fighter named Frette, who sounds suspiciously like series mascot Claptrap. We don’t have any further details on the overarching story, but the trailers have hinted that the quest will take us to plenty of castles and other fantasy staples, with goblins and dragons to fight along the way. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gameplay Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands features the same procedurally generated loot that has become a hallmark of the Borderlands series, this time with melee weapons as well. Players are also free to create their own character, equip new armor and unlock skills in the action RPG mold. Six different classes will be available to choose from at the beginning of the game. However, in a first for the series, skills can be mixed and matched between the archetypes. The six classes available at launch are as follows: Brr-Zerker – Clawbringer – Graveborn – Spellshot – Spore Warden – Stabbomancer – On top of the infinite number of guns, players can also cast a variety of magical spells. So far we’ve seen abilities that can summon meteors and even turn enemies into sheep. There will be an overworld resembling a board game, playing into the tabletop RPG vibe the spin-off is going for. This is where players will move between locations and engage in encounters away from the main story. Wonderlands can be played single-player or with up to three other players. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Chaos Chamber Beyond the main questline in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the game also provides an “endlessly replayable” mode for endgame grinders. Once you’ve torn through the main batch of content, this new addition aims to keep you hooked much longer than any previous Borderlands endgame. Chaos Chamber features randomized dungeons. This means unique layouts, different enemies, modifiers, and of course, unique loot up for grabs in each run. Whether you’re playing solo or with a full team, Chaos Chamber should provide many extra hours of fun. We’re expecting more details on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands as we edge closer to release. • Borderlands 3 PC requirements aren’t as high as you’d think – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 PC requirements aren’t as high as you’d think Gearbox StudiosGearbox Studios has revealed the PC system requirements for their upcoming flagship release, and players can breathe a sigh of relief – you probably won’t require an extensive upgrade to play Borderlands 3. With the upcoming release of the long-awaited Borderlands sequel, many gamers are sure to be wondering if the third main-series addition to the world of Pandora – promised to be “much bigger” than Borderlands 2 – will have monster system requirements. One of the positives of the popular cartoonish looter-shooter series has always been it’s low demand when it comes to necessary hardware specs, however, and Borderlands 3 is set to be no different. The publishers revealed the official minimum and recommended specs on the Borderlands website earlier today and the sequel’s demands aren’t really that much higher than that of Borderlands 2, which was released in 2012. • Borderlands 4 teaser reveals new art style and release window – Dexerto

Borderlands 4 teaser reveals new art style and release window Borderlands 4Borderlands 4 has been announced hot off the heels of the series’ film adaptation, with the game having a 2025 release window. It’s been almost 5 years since Borderlands 3 came out and, though its had a number of content updates since it released, the series has been long overdue for a new mainline entry. With most wanting to forget the film adaptation and move on, Borderlands 4 has a lot to live up to in terms of story and presentation. Though the initial trailer doesn’t reveal much in terms of gameplay, it does give fans of the series a few details to work with. For one, we’ve got a release window: 2025. The Borderlands 4 trailer didn’t give any indication as to when in 2025 we’d be seeing the game, meaning this window is a wide one. However, the reveal also showed that there’s going to be a bit of a departure from other entries in the series in terms of art style. While it’s still got that cell-shaded look to it, the lines are a lot thinner and cleaner than before. Things look a lot more “realistic” in terms of environment. There’s a chance this is just the way this cinematic trailer looks, and that the final game will look closer to prior entries in the series. For now, though, BL4 seems like a departure. In terms of story, the trailer displays a planet with the same purple glow of Eridium ripping through the sky in what appears to be it crossing into another dimension. Considering Borderlands 3 saw the Vault Hunters travel across the galaxy, dimension-hopping seems like the only way to top that. Other than that, not much is known at this time. It’s safe to assume it’ll keep the Borderlands staples in a system of seemingly endless loot and weapons, though. However, with the movie leaving fans of the series disappointed and Borderlands 3’s narrative leaving a lot to be desired, Borderlands 4 will have to do something special to loop fans of the series back in.

  • Borderlands 4 mocked for “worst-timed” reveal as movie bombs at box office – Dexerto

Borderlands 4 mocked for “worst-timed” reveal as movie bombs at box office Gearbox SoftwareDeveloper Gearbox Software unveiled Borderlands 4 during Gamescom, a reveal whose timing may not seem the most optimal since the Borderlands film flopped at the box office. Partway through the Geoff Keighley-hosted Gamescom: Opening Night Live show, audiences were treated to an announcement trailer for Borderlands 4. While Gearbox developers had previously teased its eventual return, the reveal still came as a surprise. But the franchise’s new art style is not the only thing that has fans talking. Many have also pointed out the odd timing of the announcement, which was probably meant to ride the excitement surrounding the new movie – the movie that didn’t generate much in the way of excitement at all. According to Box Office Mojo, the film has raked in only $18.6 million worldwide as of August 20 off a budget reportedly totaling more than a $130 million. With this failure in mind, Opening Night Live viewers on Twitter/X couldn’t help but mock Borderlands 4 for having the “worst-timed announcement this year.” One person called the reveal “awkward,” as it seems Gearbox initially wanted to “ride off the ‘success’ of the Borderlands movie.” If not, the user argued Gearbox may be trying to win over hearts and minds since the “movie bombed” so badly. Twitter/X user TheNCSmaster has already turned the ill-timed Borderlands 4 reveal into a funny meme that quickly went viral on social media. Regardless of the timetable on things, Gearbox has been hard at work on the shooter itself for quite a while, based on a post by modder EpicNNG that Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford retweeted. For now, then, Borderlands fans are left to wonder when the development team will share more information and gameplay. The fourth mainline entry will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms in 2025.

  • Borderlands 4: Three important trailer details you probably missed – Dexerto

Borderlands 4: Three important trailer details you probably missed Gearbox Software / 2KGamescom Opening Night Live started with a bang with the reveal of Borderlands 4 which is slated to release in 2025. Although the initial trailer doesn’t show much on the surface, there are some easter eggs and hints to be found if you dig a little deeper. For those who can’t wait for their next Vault Hunting adventure, these are all the potential secrets we’ve found so far. This is your spoiler warning, as details about previous games in the franchise will be discussed below. Lilith and the Moon The first notable shot is the Firehawk logo representing the Siren, Lillth. The Elpis Moon then phase shifts through the logo. This indicates that the newest installment will likely directly follow up on the events of Borderlands 3. At the end of 3, Lilith flew up to the Elpis moon that was threatening to destroy Pandora, and seemingly exploded with her fate left unknown. The Firehawk logo is then left branded on the moon’s surface. A zoomed-in perspective of the trailer was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Primidian that appears to show Lilith directly crashing into the surface of the moon after it’s teleported. Eplis then floats through space before ripping into the atmosphere of a planet, and this starts to reveal some very futuristic-looking buildings. The official description of the video reads, “In this next installment of the definitive looter shooter, players will assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they blast their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to loot on an all-new planet.” So this may be our very first glimpse at the planet that will take center stage in Borderlands 4. However, whether the game will primarily be set on a single planet, or you’ll be visiting multiple, like in Borderlands 3, remains to be seen. Eridians and The Watcher The perspective then shifts to a first-person view of the planet’s surface, where a robotic arm reaches out to pick up an iconic Borderlands Psycho mask lying in the debris. The look of the hand has led fans to speculate that the mysterious alien race, The Eridians, will play a big role in 4. What further alludes to this is the Eridian writing that appears in the trailer. A discussion on Reddit led players to theorize the messages are a substitute cipher that translates to: “HE IS WATCHING” and “BREAK FREE” This feels like a direct nod to The Watcher – an Eridain introduced in the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, who warned the Vault Hunters of a war where they would need to recruit as many Hunters as possible. A dangerous big bad The closing moments of the trailer give us quick flashes of images, and some speculated that one of these was iconic Borderlands 2’s villain, and one of the best video game characters of all time, Handsome Jack. This was initially pointed out by X user JoltzDude139, who shared a comparison image between the trailer, and Jack with the Vault symbol marked on his face. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has since responded to the theory, however, stating “That’s not handsome jack. That is something far more dangerous and sinister” Although we now know the image isn’t Jack, Pitchford’s reply suggests that who, or whatever, the face is might be the overall big bad of Borderlands 4. • Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition’s insane download size shows we need Switch 2 – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition’s insane download size shows we need Switch 2 Gearbox/2K AustraliaDemand for a Nintendo Switch successor is stronger than ever after fans found out Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition requires a 62 GB download on the console. Despite releasing in 2017, Nintendo has staunchly kept its hybrid console, the Switch, alive and well in 2023 with plenty of support. Unfortunately for many fans, the console has long shown its age in terms of performance, storage space, hardware specs, and more. This has left many Nintendo gamers hungry for any concrete word surrounding the long-rumored ‘Switch 2.’ Now, that demand for a Switch successor has only grown after fans discovered Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition’s 62 GB download size on the console — which is nearly the maximum internal storage for the OLED model. Nintendo fans eager for Switch 2 after huge download sizes A tweet from Twitter/X user Nintendeal reignited the discussion after tweeting out a picture of the back of the Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition box. Regarding download size, the back of the box reads, “Game requires download of at least 62 GB. microSD card recommended…” While it notes that storage requirements may change, the 62 GB figure is still a massive amount of data for a console like the Switch. To put things in perspective, Nintendo’s most expensive Switch — the OLED model — only has 64 GB of internal storage. The standard Switch model that most players bought at launch houses 32 GB of internal storage. Finally, the Switch Lite also houses 32 GB of internal storage. This means that Borderlands 3 fans who want to experience the games on the go have to purchase a microSD card to play the game unless they want to fill their entire OLED’s storage with one game. For many, this storage situation highlighted the need for a Switch 2. “Hopefully the Switch 2 will have at least 512 GB or 1 TB of internal memory… If the visuals will be on par with PS4, the games will also be much larger in file size compared to Switch games,” said one fan. Hopefully the Switch 2 will have at least 512 GB or 1 TB of internal memory instead of the 32 GB – 64 GB the current Switch models have. If the visuals will be on par with PS4, the games will also be much larger in file size compared to Switch games. — Brad Setzer (@BDStzr) October 5, 2023 On the other hand, the download size alone turned some Switch fans off from the game completely. “Never getting this then. Don’t have internet. I have to use my mobile hotspot to update the switch. 64gbs would take months for me.” Never getting this then. Don’t have internet. I have to use my mobile hotspot to update the switch. 64gbs would take months for me. — Rose (@KirbyTails) October 5, 2023 The Switch has been a monumental success for Nintendo since its debut in 2017, but it’s hard to argue that the console’s hardware isn’t holding it back in 2023. With Switch 2 rumors and speculation running rampant as of late, hopefully, Nintendo will have some concrete news for fans sometime soon.

  • Borderlands 4: Everything we know – Dexerto

Borderlands 4: Everything we know Take-Two InteractiveBorderlands 4 is finally real. The highly anticipated sequel has been confirmed and it’s coming sooner than you may have expected. From a release window to a look at the first teaser, here’s everything we know thus far. The Borderlands series has no doubt experienced its lowest point in 2024. With the Borderlands movie being a historic flop both critically and at the box office, the future of the franchise as a whole came into question. Quickly waylaying those concerns, however, 2K and Gearbox have finally announced what fans have long been hoping for. Borderlands 4 is indeed real and it’s been in the works for years already. While it’s early days yet and very little has been revealed, it’s not too early to get up to speed on everything we know thus far. From a release window to all the initial leaks, we’ve got you covered. Is there a release date for Borderlands 4? No, there is no set release date for Borderlands 4 just yet, though we do have a release window. Borderlands 4 is confirmed to be a 2025 release, and we can nail it down a bit further than that. In a press release accompanying the announcement, we learned the sequel will arrive during Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2026. This means Borderlands 4 will arrive sometime after September 28, 2025. Obviously, as it’s still early days yet, it’s worth taking this reveal with a grain of salt. Delays can always occur, not to mention, Take-Two is already planning to release GTA 6 at roughly that time in 2025, meaning Borderlands 4 could be pushed so they don’t directly compete. Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford took to X (formerly Twitter) soon after the reveal to shed further light on the game’s development. Borderlands 4 has been in the works “for years,” he confirmed. So there’s every chance it’s really not that far off. We’ll be sure to update you here with any further details as we get closer to launch. Borderlands 4 trailers The first teaser for Borderlands 4 dropped at the start of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, teasing an upgraded art style as well as what Take-Two has confirmed to be “a new planet.” Borderlands 4 platforms Borderlands 4 is confirmed to be releasing across Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. There’s been no word about support for previous-gen hardware, meaning the game has likely been built from the ground up with the latest tech in mind. What will it be about? While it’s obviously far too early for a proper synopsis, the first press release assured Borderlands 4 is sticking to the same game plan as the first three mainline installments. Fans can expect another round of traditional vault-hunting goodness. “Players will once again assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they search for secret alien treasure while blasting everything in sight.” Expanding on goals for the fourth mainline entry during a PAX West 2024 panel, Narrative Director Sam Winkler explained how the team is not only focusing on realizing a “grounded world”, but that the onus is back on the players. “Vault hunters are the central characters of our story.” “Feeling like you’re the one pushing things along and getting things taken care of, instead of being along for a ride” is a big focus for the upcoming sequel, Senior Product Producer Anthony Nicholson added. Who’s developing Borderlands 4? As announced by BusinessWire and Gearbox themselves, we know that Borderlands 4 will be developed by Take-Two Interactive after they joined forces with Gearbox, the original developers of the Borderlands franchise. Take-Two Interactive is best known for its published games, GTA 4, Kerbal Space Program, Bioshock, and much more. All Borderlands 4 rumors and leaks Back in May 2021, rumors of Borderlands 4 hit their peak, with thousands of fans convinced that Gearbox was assisting or co-developing a new Borderlands game. However, the rumor was squashed after Gearbox owner Randy Pitchford posted on X to confirm “these rumors are NOT accurate. Gearbox is lead dev of any future games in the Borderlands franchise (or any Borderlands adjacent games) with no co-development.” Shortly after, Pitchford shared their job offers, asking to hear from anyone who has “Skills-To-Pay-Bills and wants to get in on some Borderlands action” going on to reveal that they were “working on the big one,” hinting towards Borderlands 4. Now we know that Take-Two is developing the highly anticipated Borderlands 4 thanks to its acquisition of Gearbox.

  • Borderlands 3 pays homage to Destiny Exotic with exciting new weapon – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 pays homage to Destiny Exotic with exciting new weapon A popular Exotic pulse rifle from Destiny has provided a framework for a brand new Legendary weapon in Borderlands 3. The Borderlands and Destiny franchises both have a lot in common. From explosive FPS gameplay to loot-driven, cooperative grinding, there’s no denying that the games overlap. Paying homage to Bungie’s ever-expanding universe, Borderlands 3 developers Gearbox, recently hid a new Legendary weapon in the game that amusingly mimics the Bad Juju Exotic pulse rifle. Hilariously titled the ‘Good Juju,’ this new Legendary rifle boasts remarkable accuracy when firing from the hip and comes equipped with a powerful perk that made the original Destiny counterpart so popular. Upon each and every kill the weapon will automatically refill its magazine allowing you to continue firing without the need for a lengthy reload animation. The Borderlands 3 weapon even mocks the flavor text of the original Destiny Exotic. “Kinda, sorta wants to end all existence,” the Legendary description reads in the 2019 looter-shooter, similar to the text that accompanied the Bad Juju which states: “If you believe your weapon wants to end all existence, then so it will.” Furthermore, even the visual style of the weapon has been translated over to Borderlands 3 in that the grotesque remains of a slain alien adorn the rifle of the new Legendary. In order to claim this new Legendary rifle for yourself, you’ll have to make sure you’re well-equipped for a serious challenge. Earning the weapon is no easy feat as it can only be farmed from ‘The Rampager’ boss on Mayhem Mode 4, the most intense difficulty modifier in the endgame. There’s a chance that you might get lucky and have the Legendary drop in your first run-through, however just like many other ‘grindable’ items in the game, it could take hours of repetition to finally get the drop you’re after. Additionally, it appears as though there are numerous variations to the weapon itself in the form of elemental differences, so there’s plenty of reason to grind for the perfect stat roll to complement your ideal character build. While Legendaries have become much more difficult to farm since Borderlands 3 was released, this new drop should provide a unique, repeatable challenge for dedicated players to get sunk into. Perhaps is this is just the beginning of many amusing Destiny crossovers yet to come. It’s safe to assume that the controversial Gjallarhorn Exotic for instance, would be a neat addition to essentially any first-person shooter on the market.

  • Borderlands 3 reveals exclusive rewards for Anniversary celebration – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 reveals exclusive rewards for Anniversary celebration 2K/GearboxOctober marks ten years since the original Borderlands game came out, and Gearbox is giving Borderlands 3 players a month of rewards to celebrate. The first Borderlands game came out on October 20, 2009 and to thank loyal players, 2K is putting on a five week celebration that will let fans pick up more valuable loot and a load of other surprises. Each week of the celebration will come with different rewards starting on October 1 going through November 4, so read below for all the available info on the event. What will see for each week of the celebration? The first week of celebration (starting October 1) is called Boss Week. During Boss Week, certain bosses will have an increased chance to drop specific Legendary items, as listed below: Mouthpiece has an increased chance to drop Gatling Gun – KillaVolt has an increased chance to drop Brainstormer – Gigamind has an increased chance to drop Nagata – Katagawa Ball has an increased chance to drop Rectifier – Katagawa has an increased chance to drop Legendary class mods (all Vault Hunters) – Rampager has an increased chance to drop Kill-o’-the-Wisp – Warden has an increased chance to drop Echo – GenIVIV has an increased chance to drop Ten Gallon – Aurelia has an increased chance to drop Creeping Death – Graveward has an increased chance to drop Earworm – Pain and Terror have an increased chance to drop Legendary class mods (all Vault Hunters) – Troy has an increased chance to drop Nova Berner – Tyreen has an increased chance to drop Bitch – That’s all just the first week of the celebration, with new events happening every week. Even though we don’t know exactly what the next few weeks following Boss Week will include, the names do give us a good hint at what to expect. The third week of the celebration is called “Show Me the Eridium!” and could indicate that players will be able to stock up on the Borderlands 3 currency. Eridium is one of the game’s rarest currencies and can be used to purchase cosmetic items or weapons from Crazy Earl in Sanctuary or his vending machines scattered throughout the game. Week 4 will be called “Mayhem on Twitch!” and could mean players can receive special loot in the form of drops for watching Borderlands 3 streams on Twitch – just what those drops could be though, remains unknown. Finally to round out the celebration, Week 5 is simply called the “Spooky Surprise” and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out this could be hinting at some kind of Halloween celebration – possibly the “Blood Harvest” event previously mentioned by developers. Bloody Harvest, according to developers, will bring a new map and raid into the game, along with an exclusive companion and a load of new skins, as seen below. As we said we don’t know exactly what’s coming following Boss Week in the Anniversary celebration, but 2K will provide all the details each Monday, so stick with Dexerto for all the latest info.

  • Borderlands 3 October 17 hotfix notes balance legendaries, nerf Hex – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 October 17 hotfix notes balance legendaries, nerf Hex Borderland 3 is in for another update on October 17 that will introduce balance changes to various Legendary weapons, which could leave some fan-favorite guns in a weak spot. Gearbox has been hard at work balancing some of the builds that they see could become a bit too overpowered. Meanwhile, the company has also been focusing on ironing out problematic bugs seen throughout their title. Even though players have been loving how much chaos they can produce while mowing down hordes of enemies in the PvE environments, the devs are scaling back some of the more prevalent Legendary weapons. Legendary gear The Borderlands devs are looking to adjust legendaries across all manufactures in order to entice players to find new play styles and encourage a larger variety of builds. “Our goal with Legendary gear is to enable a large variety of play styles and builds for all characters,” they said. “After looking through the data, we found that that some pieces of Legendary gear were greatly outperforming others.” To find “acceptable medians” they there’s been significant changes made to popular weapons like Torgue’s Flakker which “now consumes the full magazine when fired” and had its damage reduced by 33%. Meanwhile players are saying their farewells to the Lyuda now that its Critical Damage Bonus got “decreased by 30%.” While snipers are fun to play as, some complaints suggest they don’t put out much damage. It seems like the Lyuda will get scaled back, as will Hyperion’s Butcher which will now have its accuracy reduced as well as its damage by 25%. Grenades Normally players would concentrate on changes to the guns, but two huge nerfs might have some players second thinking the Hex and Firestorm. Both of them got a major damage reduction by 70%. As for the Hex grenade, its duration will now last three seconds. “Hex and Firestorm were calibrated to the wrong grenade modifier,” the devs said. “These two grenades were envisioned to specialize by applying elemental DoTs to targets. Instead they were resulting in large amounts of damage and the elemental DoTs were minimal.” There’s a lot more to unpack, including tons of bug fixes throughout different parts of the game and weapon drops in the Pachinko machine, so make sure to check the patch notes below. BORDERLANDS 3 HOTFIXES: OCTOBER 17, 2019 POSTED: OCT 17 2019 This week’s Borderlands 3 hotfixes, which will be live on all platforms by or before 3:00 PM PDT today, adjust Legendary gear across all manufacturers. Our goal with Legendary gear is to enable a large variety of playstyles and builds for all characters. After looking through the data, we found that that some pieces of Legendary gear were greatly outperforming others and felt they were limiting builds instead of increasing them. In addition, some of the damage output of Legendary gear limited the growth in combat engagements for the future so we tuned everything to an acceptable median. We expect all Vault Hunters to be able to create amazing builds and we want to support that with more ways to grow and reach those power levels. WEAPON HOTFIXES Maliwan Westergun damage increased by 25% – ASMD damage increased by 28% – Cutsman damage reduced by 25% – Tediore Ten Gallon damage increased by 8% – Vladof Sickle reload speed increased by 25% – Faisor damage increased by 15% – Infiniti damage increased by 40% – Magnificent damage increased by 25% – Jericho damage increased by 40% – Lucian’s Call accuracy and handling reduced – Lyuda Critical Damage Bonus decreased by 30% and made a modification to address a reported bug that an extra bullet was spawned in the center – The Lyuda’s functionality is to split the projectile from 1 to 3 after a certain distance. It was reported that the original projectile was never destroyed in the process of splitting so 1 projectile actually became 4. Addressing this concern effectively removed a full shot’s worth of damage which auto-corrects the base damage of the weapon. Since we increased all sniper rifle critical damage bonus in a previous hotfix, we reduced some of the critical damage bonus on the Lyuda. Torgue Try-Bolt damage increased by 25% – Alchemist damage increased by 25% – Devils Foursum damage increased by 13% – Flakker now consumes the full magazine when fired and damage is reduced by 33% – Flakker was greatly outperforming other shotguns due to the number of projectiles and the high rate of fire. We initially believed the resulting projectile spread would cause most of the explosions to miss the target, however this turned out to be false, so we reduced the projectile damage and allowed the weapon to only fire once per magazine. This change encourages players to capitalize on different stat bonuses to maximize the weapon’s damage output. Laser-Sploder rocket projectiles spawn interval increased by 0.4 seconds – Jakobs Maggie damage increased by 35% – Hellwalker damage reduced by 8% – Hyperion We found that a couple of the Legendary Hyperion weaponry bypassed the Hyperion manufacturer playstyle too easily making their bonuses greatly outweigh the penalties. The Butcher was drastically outperforming all metrics and we chose to reduce the damage in order to keep the fast fire rate. Conference Call damage increased by 15% – Crossroad accuracy reduced and it now fires 3 projectiles instead of 4 – Butcher accuracy reduced and damage reduced by 25% – DAHL Vanquisher damage increased by 20% – Children of the Vault Skeksis damage increased by 15% – Linoge damage increased by 20% – Pain is Power damage increased by 25% – Atlas Ruby’s Wrath damage increased by 10% – Grenades Hex and Firestorm were calibrated to the wrong grenade modifier. These two grenades were envisioned to specialize by applying elemental DoTs to targets. Instead they were resulting in large amounts of damage and the elemental DoTs were minimal. We realize this is a drastic change on both of these grenades, but we did not want to remove the spectacle of the grenade (number of grenades spawned, number of targets hit, etc.) and focused on allowing their core identity to be emphasized instead of them continuing to just be high damage grenades. Hunter-Seeker damage increased by 25% – Hex grenade damage reduced by 70% and duration reduced to 3 seconds – Firestorm damage reduced by 70% – Artifacts It was reported that the Legendary artifact, Elemental Projector, had a bug resulting in the max value being displayed at 183% instead of the actual max value of 113%. Therefore, we addressed the discrepancy and reduced the max value to 90%. Elemental Projector damage max roll reduced to 90% – VAULT HUNTER ADJUSTMENTS The current state of Moze’s Iron Bear, Zane’s Digi-Clone, and FL4K’s pets have made players focus on other elements besides those Vault Hunter’s fundamental action skills in the late game. While longer term solutions to scaling their damage is explored, we have boosted the health of Iron Bear, the Digi-Clone, and the pets to make them more viable. We will have more to say about long term solutions for these characters in the future. Iron Bear: health increased by 50% – All pets’ health increased by 50% – Digi-Clone: health increased by 100% – Addressed a bug with Salvation where grenades were giving life-steal – BUG FIXES Psychos will now use their True Vault Hunter Mode name in True Vault Hunter Mode – Removed the optional Rare Spawn missions from Galaxy Progress – Addressed a reported bug where Completely Sane Sid didn’t always become hostile when using FL4K – Addressed a reported bug where Ratch would not properly spawn during “Ratch’d Up”, which potentially blocked completion of that side mission – Included a modification so Lilith would continue to move toward the door in Shiv’s confession chamber during “From the Ground Up” – Lowered the chance for a weapon to drop from the Pachinko machine – Included a modification so that Zane’s Digi-Clone will no longer spawn into the cage in Cistern of Slaughter – Shield Boosters were modified and are now set for autopickup – An addition was introduced so Eridium chests are no longer listed as Red Chests in the ECHOcast extension on Sanctuary III –

  • Borderlands 3: How to get the legendary One Punch Man shotgun – Dexerto

Borderlands 3: How to get the legendary One Punch Man shotgun Gearbox Software / 2K Games / Viz MediaBorderlands 3 players continue to discover more easter eggs and secret pop culture references scattered across the wastelands, and the latest one is from the wildly popular anime series One Punch Man. Here is a guide on how to obtain the legendary shotgun. The popular looter shooter released on September 13 and is filled to the brim with secret boss fights and pop culture-themed loot, such as an epic Rick and Morty boss fight which awards players with a rare weapon. But now there is another animation that has made its way into the game – the Japanese anime One Punch Man, and it’s every bit as epic as it sounds. Here is how you can get the knockout legendary gun. Where to find the One Punch Man boss fight Just like the Rick and Morty Easter egg, the One Punch Man boss fight is located in Lectra City on the planet Promethea. The quickest way to get there is through the doorway in the center of the Meridian Metroplex map. Once in the city, head to southwest corner of the area, before it funnels into a corridor. Go down the spiral staircase until you hit an underground section, then stick to the left and you will eventually find a hideaway with an open chain link fence where you’ll see levers, a wheel, and a button. Hitting these in the right order will open a door where the One Punch-themed boss will emerge. The correct sequence is left button, right wheel, right lever, left lever. You can also wait until you get the sidequest ‘Proof of Wire’ as the easter egg is in the same area of the map. 600How to obtain the legendary One Pump Chump shotgun In order to get the legendary gun, you have to take on a boss named ‘One Punch’ and he even sports a massive arm and fist to replicate the anime hero. The best strategy for this fight is to keep your distance and use long ranged attacks as the battle will end immediately if he lands just a single hit on you, staying true to the show. Using cluster grenades which spawn multiples is also a good idea given the fight takes place in an enclosed corridor. Once you bring your foe down there is a random chance that he will drop ‘One Pump Chump’, which is an extremely powerful weapon so it’s definitely worth trying to win it. Just like other legendary weapons, the stats and bonuses are randomized but you can always go back and spawn the boss fight to re-roll, or to get another chance at obtaining the gun should it not drop the first time. Read More: Blind cosplayer wows Borderlands 3 fans – The description of the gun reads “I swear, that has never happened before” which is a cheeky nod to the anime. The main draw to the weapon is its absurd damage rate percentage to match the power of the hero’s fist, as well as the perk of having a chance to not consume ammo. 600Borderlands 3 continues to deliver crazy pop culture-themed battles and guns, making fans search high and low for the next hidden reference from their favorite shows.

  • Borderlands 3: How to get the legendary Rick and Morty shotgun – Dexerto

Borderlands 3: How to get the legendary Rick and Morty shotgun Gearbox Software / 2K Games / Warner Bros. TelevisionBorderlands 3 released on September 13, and players have been scouring the wastelands in search for easter eggs and pop culture references. Here is how you can obtain the legendary Rick and Morty shotgun. Gearbox Software’s looter shooter Borderlands is known for its over the top humor, and it’s wealth of pop culture references and hidden secrets in the series. With the release of the third instalment, fans have discovered a nod to the popular Cartoon Network animation Rick and Morty. Not only is there a weapon in reference to the sci-fi animation, but there’s also a hidden boss fight themed after the show as well. Here is a guide on how to find and obtain and the legendary shotgun. Where to find the Rick and Morty boss fight In order to tackle this boss encounter, you must first activate the quest ‘Kill Rick and Warty’ to get the characters to spawn. The mission is rare though, and shows up at random on the Sanctuary ship, so some players might be waiting a while before it shows up. After getting the objective, go to the planet Promethea. Once there, head to Lectra City. For players that have yet to visit the location, you unlock it after doing a mission for Moxxi called ‘To Kill Killavolt’ that you also get at Sanctuary. Read More: Fans outraged over Borderlands 3 performance – To enter Lectra City, go to Meridian Metroplex – this is an exit at the center of the map. Once you’ve entered the city, go to the very top right of the map where you will find a shipping container near the police station. The boss duo will spawn from the container, and are hilariously named Wick and Warty, and closely resemble the animated Rick and Morty characters. If you don’t see the enemies, you will have to exit the city and re-enter, as their spawning is at a random rate, although they show up more frequently than not. How to get the legendary shotgun Once you engage in the boss fight, it’s important to try to take them down as quickly as possible, as the enemies can teleport around and even send the player to another location. The battle can also end prematurely if they flee. The lowest requirement for the battle is level 14, so most players should be fine to tackle on their own. Although it’s a must to keep your distance and stick to long ranged attacks, as they can catch you off guard with their teleportation. Once you defeat them the weapon they can drop is a legendary shotgun called Redundant Phebert, which emits green effects with each shot that look similar to the green portals from the TV show. 600The stats are randomized, but the gun is generally powerful and is Hyperian, so it deploys a shield when the player uses it. The description reads ‘Faster than all estimates’ and the gun has the perk of “irradiated enemies damage enemies around them”. Read More: How to get free Fortnite Psycho Bundle – The gun doesn’t always drop, as unfortunately the easter egg boss duo can give out other weapons. But you can fight them again multiple times to try to get the firearm to eventually spawn, so don’t worry if it doesn’t appear the first time. With the game filled to the brim with hidden easter eggs and rare loot, the possibilities seem limitless for what pop culture reference is discovered next.

  • Borderlands 3: How to get the Lord of the Rings shotgun – Dexerto

Borderlands 3: How to get the Lord of the Rings shotgun Gearbox Software / 2K Games / New Line CinemaJ. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings has come to Borderlands 3, as a new pop culture-themed mission and weapon has been discovered. Here is a guide on how to get the Middle Earth-inspired shotgun. Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 released on September 13, and players have already discovered that the game is filled with easter eggs, hidden missions, and rare pop culture-themed weapons that range from the popular Japanese anime One Punch Man, to even Twitch star Dr Disrespect. But now Vault Hunters have discovered that the most popular fantasy story of all time, The Lord of the Rings, also makes a cameo in the looter shooter. Here is how to find the mission and rare shotgun. 600Where to find the Lord of the Rings mission Players must first go to the planet Pandora and then to a location called ‘Konrad’s Hold’, where the mission is called ‘The Demon in the Dark’ and is a reference to the fiery demon named Balrog. The quest will show up as an exclamation mark on the map, and shouldn’t be hard to miss. Accepting it will lead you to a lever, which opens a door upon pulling it. Players will then be funneled into a storyline inspired by the fantasy series by an NPC called Wren. Unlike other easter eggs like the Rick and Morty shotgun that are just boss fights, the LoTR quest is a fully fleshed out mission. As players make their way into an underground catacombs similar to the movie, they will be met with puzzles and waves of enemies. 600How to get the Balrog-themed shotgun Eventually you will reach a section containing a well and a skull, which is a direct reference to the scene in the movie. Like the story, players have to push the skull into the well, which will trigger an ambush by demon enemy ‘Lagromar’ who has a fire attack similar to Balrog. The boss fight is pretty tough, so it’s definitely recommended that you are above level 45, and going in with a friend will definitely help. Once the formidable foe is defeated and the mission is completed, speaking to Wren will reward you with the legendary LOTR shotgun ‘Burning Chomper’. 600The Balrog-inspired weapon may only be a blue rarity level gun, but its damage per shot is pretty insane. While stats are randomized, the firearm still packs a huge punch. When fired, bullets come out in waves and shoot out like the fire whip from the Lord of the Rings demon, before coming together to make a big explosion. H/T: Arekkz Gaming on YouTube. With the looter shooter filled to the brim with popular easter eggs, players are scouring the planets high and low for the next familiar reference.

  • Borderlands 3 dev confirms game is “much bigger” than predecessor – Dexerto

Borderlands 3 dev confirms game is “much bigger” than predecessor Gearbox StudiosAnthony Nicholson, Senior Producer at Gearbox Software, has revealed that Borderlands 3 will be “much bigger” than Borderlands 2, and shared some more story details. Borderlands 3 is Gearbox Studios’ latest instalment into the Borderlands series, following on from the resounding success brought about by the first two titles. By 2015, the Borderlands series had sold upwards of 26 million copies worldwide. However, it has been 7 years since the series had a fresh title – ignoring a couple of spin-off games made by varying developers. The title was revealed back in April, with the games official announcement trailer. Early in August 2019, Anthony Nicholson sat down with GamingBolt, to discuss the upcoming sci-fi game. Much of Borderlands 3 has already been revealed; including that it will feature up to 4 player co-op play, there will be cosmetic microtransactions, and that the game’s main campaign will last approximately 30 to 35 hours. However, during his interview, Nicholson expanded on that figure, explaining that there’s far more to do in the game that sticking to the main narrative. “It’s much bigger than Borderlands 2,” he said. “There’s all different types of side missions, there’s the main mission, of course. Then there’s other things like all of the different challenges that we have: like the rare spawns, and the enemy hunts, the crew challenges.” “There’s so much to do in the game that I can’t express enough,” Nicholson continued. “And those are just different mission type things you can do. There’s also exploration, boss runs, things like that. So there’s a ton of content.” Development on Borderlands 3 was confirmed to have wrapped up at the start of August, over a month prior to the game’s release. Despite the tangible community excitement for Borderlands 3, some PC players have been critical of its exclusivity on the Epic Store, where it will remain until April 2020. Combining Nicholson’s responses with everything we know so far, it certainly seems like Borderlands 3 will be even more immersive than its predecessor, and offer players a wealth of new content to dive into. H/T: GamingBolt The upcoming title will drop on September 13, ending a 7 year wait for some long term fans.

  • Bobby Kotick set to leave Activision at end of 2023 with enormous payday – Dexerto

Bobby Kotick set to leave Activision at end of 2023 with enormous payday Microsoft / Activision BlizzardWith the closure of the Microsoft and ABK acquisition, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has suggested he will be leaving the company at the end of 2023. He has, however, already received a lucrative payday. Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard has closed after an over-a-year-long saga. The endless speculation, amendments, and corporate drama is now over for the most part. From today, Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Candy Crush can be considered Xbox first-party titles. Questions of Bobby Kotick’s future have swirled since the bid was accepted last year. The CEO has come under fire in recent years for the company’s monetization strategies across games, demanding more games from Blizzard, and allegedly failing to act on significant reports of sexual harassment from people with positions of power at Activision Blizzard. We now have confirmation of his fate. In a letter to employees, he explained: “I have long said that I am fully committed to helping with the transition. Phil has asked me to stay on as CEO of ABK, reporting to him, and we have agreed that I will do that through the end of 2023.” “We now join one of the most successful global companies, poised for unprecedented opportunities to connect the world through our games.” Kotick leaving but made a lot of money from deal closing That said, Kotick isn’t leaving without a gargantuan payday. As reported by the BBC, Kotick is in line to receive almost half a billion from the acquisition being finalized. “Microsoft is paying cash for Activision at a premium price of $95 per share, meaning the chief executive of the World of Warcraft maker, Bobby Kotick, is set for a $400m payday, with chairman Brian Kelly earning $100m, based on the shares they own,” the BBC said. It’s also not clear if this is the total Kotick will receive, or if he will receive further compensation after stepping down. How this will affect popular franchises, it’s hard to say, but some blame Kotick for the alleged toxic work culture and monetization tactics that many players argue have made gaming worse. Only time will tell if those complaints are alleviated with the Microsoft takeover.

  • Incredible ‘body cam’ shooting game in development goes viral – Dexerto

Incredible ‘body cam’ shooting game in development goes viral Alexandre S.An independent developer recently unveiled a realistic-looking body cam shooting game, whose reveal trailer went viral on social media. Realism and first-person shooters have gone hand-in-hand for quite some time. Graphical fidelity and highly detailed environments constitute just parts of the larger equation, though. Gameplay mechanics intensify these experiences as well, yet some would argue that little has improved on this front in recent years. At least in the AAA space. In many respects, indie developers often lead the charge in innovation, pushing the envelope in ways that risk-averse publishers would rather avoid. As advanced technology becomes more readily available, creators in the indie space have pushed the limits even further. But some onlookers can’t help but ponder how far is too far. Indie dev unveils body cam-centric first-person shooting game Technical Artist Alexandre S. has showcased footage of a “body cam style” indie game. Powered by Unreal Engine, the project seems to take place in an abandoned building where players will engage in shootouts. Other details about the game remain under wraps at the time of writing, but the developer promised additional videos will go live sometime “soon.” The unnamed body cam game teaser went viral online, evidenced by its 22,000-plus retweets and nearly 182,000 likes on Twitter. Notably, there’s already an air of divisiveness surrounding the project. For instance, some think it’s veering toward “a bit too real.” Its uncanny resemblance to content associated with the likes of LiveLeak has others intrigued, however. Should the final product ever see the light of day, discussions about its similarities to real body cam footage will more than likely pervade internet discourse.

  • 13-year-old becomes first player to ever “beat” NES Tetris – Dexerto

13-year-old becomes first player to ever “beat” NES Tetris Blue ScutiNES Tetris player Blue Scuti has gotten the first-ever kill screen, effectively becoming the first person to beat the classic game. Video games didn’t have endings once upon a time. They were designed to just go on forever, with players running the gauntlet of ghosts, barrels, or evil invaders until they ran out of quarters. This has created something of a unique subset for gamers, as those seeking world records and personal bests had to find a way to identify what their run was seeking to accomplish. One young Tetris player is making headlines now for breaking several NES Tetris records and managing to “beat” the game for the first time ever. Blue Scuti “beats” NES Tetris by crashing the game Willis Gibson, aka “Blue Scuti,” is only 13 years old, but he’s been playing Tetris professionally for some time now. He has a YouTube channel that consists of NES Tetris speed runs where he maxes out levels and crushes his own personal bests. His latest video is genuinely gaming history, though. Blue Scuti actually “beats” NES Tetris by causing the game to crash under specific conditions. Speaking with the Classic Tetris YouTube channel, Scuti explained he was motivated to take on this challenge after nearly beating another player’s world record. “I got the world record the same day that Fractal started his game crash grind. In that world record, I was only about 18 lines off and I just thought if I’m that close, I might as well race him for it and try and beat him to the crash.” What Scuti does, in essence, is force the game to reach a kill screen, which is something of an outdated idea today. Classic arcade games like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and more didn’t have endings you could reach and weren’t designed to be “finished.” The kill screen occurs when the game goes for too long and runs out of memory, leading to the game crashing. These kill screens have become the de facto endpoints for many speed runs and high-score competitions, as seen in documentaries like The King of Kong. For NES Tetris, that includes hitting a very specific set of conditions, including clearing a single line rather than multiple lines. You can see Blue Scuti deal with this in his video, as he gets the wrong line clear at one point, failing to crash the game’s memory and trigger the kill screen. This doesn’t take away from the victory, though. So far as anyone can tell, this is the first time a Tetris kill screen has been seen, let alone documented, as having been performed by a human player. Previous attempts to break the game, such as Greg Cannon’s 2021 run, have made use of programs or even AI in order to assist with playing a “perfect” game. Our character tier list will help you to understand which characters in the mobile game are best suited to each objective that you’ll undertake in Blue Archive. So let’s dive in and check out the updated character tier list for 2023 in this story-driven RPG. Apart from that, you can also check out our list of best mobile games for 2023 to ensure that there aren’t any chartbusters that you’re missing out on. Updated December 5, 2023, to update tiers according to the meta after the new patch. Contents All classes in Blue Archive Considering the fact that Blue Archive is a story-driven RPG, there are not a lot of characters to choose from. However, the ones available are split into three different classes according to their utility in the game. The three classes in Blue Archive are: Attacker – Tank – Support and Healer – As their names suggest, it is fairly evident what characters from each of these classes specialize in. Before jumping into the rankings, you should note that characters in Blue Archive feature star ratings that reflect their in-game capabilities. However, these star ratings should not be considered as those to focus on, as there are several lower-rated characters who perform just as well in synergy with specific allies. Best characters in Blue Archive: tier list Attacker Attackers are the main damage dealers in Blue Archive, but these characters suffer heavily in regard to defensive stats. For this reason, it is highly advised to not place these troops on the front line. Attackers tend to perform best when placed either in the middle or back row, as it not only gives them cover from the enemy’s attacks but also plenty of time to dish out damage. Tank As their name suggests, Tanks form the front line in Blue Archive. Considering their massive defensive stats, they are capable of soaking up any damage enemies might deal to your team. It’s essential to make sure that you’ve always got at least one tank in your party to serve as cover for your Attackers, Healers, and Supports. Support and Healer These specific characters specialize in providing support and healing from the backline for your Attackers and Tanks. While Supports and Healers are often overlooked to make space for Attackers, these characters are extremely essential when facing off against difficult challenges that can stretch for longer-than-usual durations. So, there you have it – that’s our Blue Archive character tier list for December 2023. Make sure to check back in the future for any changes. Contents All heroes in Bloons TD6 – Best heroes to use in BTD6 – New and upcoming heroes in BTD6 – All heroes in Bloons TD6 BTD6 features a total of 14 heroes with Geraldo being the latest one to join the ranks in update 31.0. However, it has been quite a while since the release of a new hero, and the developers could be planning to introduce a surprise early in 2023. Having said that, below, we’ve listed exactly when and how you’ll be able to unlock them in the game. Best heroes to use in Bloons TD6 Each hero’s abilities in BTD6 are fairly situational, and as such, it’s best to be aware of when you should be using someone in the play. Here’s a detailed rundown of some of the best heroes that you should use in Bloons TD6 for your in-game strategies. 5. Sauda – The Swordmaster Sauda is by default an excellent crowd-control hero, however, she comes into her real element with the help of her abilities, Leaping Sword Attack and Sword Charge. Both of Sauda’s abilities allow her to take down massive waves of Bloons without facing much trouble. On top of this, Sauda can also detect Camo Bloons, making her an extremely efficient hero choice in BTD6. 4. Benjamin – The Code Monkey Despite being a fairly passive hero in BTD6, Benjamin is capable of earning money and extra lives for you while sitting on his computer. Benjamin’s abilities include Biohack and Syphon Funding, each of which provides indirect perks and benefits to your team. Benjamin is perfect for strategies that rely heavily on money, as the monkey also generates an additional rate of interest for Monkey Banks. 3. Obyn Greenfoot – The Forest Guardian Being the last hero in the game who can be unlocked for free, Obyn Greenfoot features excellent synergy with Druids. The hero’s abilities include Brambles and Wall of Trees, making him an essential cornerstone for magic-based defensive strategies. Obyn’s basic attacks are also capable of penetrating walls, thus making him an ideal choice for various scenarios in the game. 2. Psi – The Psionic Monkey Despite coming across as an underwhelming hero at the beginning, Psi’s capabilities in BTD6 are undoubtedly one of the strongest in the game. Psi’s abilities are Psychic Blast and Psionic Scream, both of which are extremely useful in taking out swarms of Bloons. However, Psi becomes absolutely fearsome after hitting level 20 and upgrading their Psionic Scream. Using this ability after Psi hits level 20 will freeze and instantaneously eliminate all enemies on the screen, making him one of the best heroes to pick in Bloons TD6 in the current meta. 1. Etienne – The Drone Operator Etienne is a tiny little monkey who uses his drones to shoot at incoming Bloons. Like most heroes in the game, Etienne features two abilities, Drone Swarm and UCAV. However, the hero’s main bonuses come from his non-ability level-ups during the course of a match. Etienne grants special abilities to all towers when he reached level eight. These abilities allow regular towers to detect Camo Bloons. Additionally, Etienne’s UCAV ability becomes permanent at level 20, granting boosts to the summoned unit to pop all types of Bloons whenever activated. Needless to say, Etienne is the best hero currently available in the game and is definitely a huge asset for most in-game strategies. New and upcoming heroes in Bloons TD6 Apart from the 14 heroes currently available in the BTD6, the developer has yet to confirm the next hero that will be released along with the next major update for the game. As was revealed in the patch notes for version 30.0, the new hero, Geraldo, was released with update 31.00. Geraldo is a Mystic Shopkeeper who specializes in helping your team as a support unit. However, as to who the next Hero after Geraldo might be in Bloons: TD6, we will have to wait until an official announcement from the developer. With some time having passed since the release of update 34.2, make sure to check back soon for more details as they are being revealed. • Bloodhunt players demand nerfs to Nosferatu’s “overpowered” Prowler and Saboteur – Dexerto

Bloodhunt players demand nerfs to Nosferatu’s “overpowered” Prowler and Saboteur SharkmobVampire: The Masquerade Bloodhunt’s most popular clan is the underground Nosferatu, but players are calling for nerfs to the Prowler and Saboteur classes as they continue to dominate the battle royale. In the Bloodhunt hierarchy, the elusive Nosferatu clan reign supreme. Ranked top of our best clans tier list for solo play, their power over the Brujah and Toreadors has continued to cause issues. With the Brujah unable to run into brawls because of the Prowler’s irritating bat scouts, and the Toreador classes struggling to face up to the raw power that comes with the Saboteur, players have grown more and more frustrated with the underground bloodsuckers. This irritation has snowballed into players demanding that Bloodhunt’s Nosferatu clan receives a huge nerf on the whole, and it had better come sooner rather than later. Bloodhunt players want Prowler & Saboteur nerfs Bloodhunt’s official subreddit has been inundated with players demanding that adjustments be made to the terrifying night-stalkers. Read More: Bloodhunt has a hacker problem – “If we do a balance patch, nerf Prowler and buff Siren,” writes one irritated player, going on to call Prowler the “clear best” class in the game. “Nosferatu are obviously the strongest. It’s no contest,” another commenter responds. The main issue appears to be with their Scouting Famulus ability, which allows them to send out a cauldron of bats that scout the area they’re sent to. These bats remain in place until a player casts the ability again, making them one of the most powerful tools in the game. “Prowler bats are just way too overpowered,” notes a second post. “They stay on the ground for too long, appear to glitch and allow you to place multiple ones over time (same with the sewer bomb), and reveal you for too long. It’s game changing on [sic] a team fight. “I think a good start is to reduce the time they are active and make them disappear,” they continue. “Also only one set of bats should be placed at a time. Another good change could be allowing players to shoot them (scare off or kill.)” As Sharkmob continues to experiment with the game, it’ll be interesting to see whether the Nosferatu eventually see their reign of terror cut short. Until then, be sure to look to the skies – you never know what’s lurking above you.
