  • Forza Horizon 5’s surprise Barbie collab could be its best crossover yet – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 5’s surprise Barbie collab could be its best crossover yet Warner Bros.Forza Horizon 5 is getting a Barbie update featuring cars from the movie; it could be the game’s best collaboration yet. Barbie’s choice of car in the upcoming film is nothing short of a true stunner. The two-tone vintage Corvette comes in the pinkest of pinks with white accents, perfectly underscoring the car’s curvy silhouette. According to recent reports, the hype for the movie has already generated a boosted interest in bright pink convertibles on the car market. It should come as no surprise, then, that one of the world’s foremost racing games is also joining the Barbie party. It looks like Forza Horizon 5 has a Barbie crossover incoming On June 21, Xbox-dedicated Twitter account Idle Sloth shared images proving that two Barbie-themed vehicles from the WB film are coming to Forza. One such car is the 1956 ‘Barbie Movie’ Corvette EV, while 2022 ‘Barbie Film’ Hummer EV Pickup constitutes the second. According to PCGamesN, users can take a look at the vehicles in the game’s Horizon Promo section. They’re not yet available to use, though, and developer Playground Games hasn’t formally announced the update. For now, there’s no official word on when the Barbie-themed rides will fully grace the Forza race tracks. But, presumably, the pair will arrive in time for Barbie’s theatrical release on July 21. YouTuber Aziial shared a closer look at the in-game versions of both the Corvette and the Hummer in the following videos: The seemingly imminent Barbie crossover counts as just one of Forza Horizon 5’s brand collaborations. Last summer, Playground joined forces with Mattel to bring Hot Wheels-inspired rides to the racer. In the past, the latest Forza title has also featured content inspired by Halo and Oreo. The pink Barbie Corvette could prove the best of the bunch when all is said and done.

  • Forza Horizon 5 devs respond to major exploit and Auction House inflation – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 5 devs respond to major exploit and Auction House inflation MicrosoftPlayground Games has fixed the issues stemming Forza Horizon 5’s Super7 exploit, which forced the closure of the Auction House. Forza Horizon 5 players recently unearthed an exploit that allowed them to rake in absurd amounts of in-game cash through the Horizon Super7 challenges. The easy-money tactic did a number on the Forza economy, given that players were suddenly able to clear the Auction House of its high-priced vehicles. Fortunately, Playground fixed the exploit several days ago, yet users having access to an influx of cash caused inflation that resulted in the Auction House’s temporary closure. Developers solve Forza Horizon 5’s Auction House problem On November 29, the official Forza Support account informed fans that no action would be taken against those who used the Super7 exploit because the “error was on [the developer’s] side.” All users received “two hard-to-find cars” to boot, with the message additionally promising the Auction House would soon return. And today, November 30, marks its reopening. Forza Support explained the downtime came as an effort to “mitigate the price inflation caused by the recent Super7 exploit.” To reinstate the auction feature, then, the team reset every car’s minium bid and buyout value. Hopefully, the newly implemented changes to Forza Horizon 5’s Auction House rebalance the in-game economy. Playground and Microsoft shipped Forza Horizon 5 late last year to glowing critic and user reviews. Many even named it their Game of the Year for 2021. The racer has since received new content in the form of post-launch DLC, with one expansion revolving around a Hot Wheels brand deal. Fans of the series continue to look toward the future, too, with Turn 10’s Forza Motorsport 8 set to release sometime in Spring 2023.

Forza Horizon 5 devs offer 1,000 free Forzathon points after server issues MicrosoftForza Horizon 5 players can get 1,000 free Forzathon points after developers Playground Games offered the reward due to server issues plaguing the game’s launch. They have also promised more fixes coming in a December 2 statement. While Forza Horizon 5 has been a hit with players — smashing Xbox records on Day 1 — server issues have plagued the online side of Playground Games’ latest release. Fellow drivers have been disappearing left and right in-game, and it’s been notoriously difficult to stay online with your friends in Convoys. Developers have noted the server issues, and fixes are on their way, but for now players are being compensated with 1,000 free Forzathon points. Here’s when and how you’ll be able to claim them. How to claim free Forza Horizon 5 Forzathon points after server issues All you have to do to claim the 1,000 free Forzathon points in Forza Horizon 5 is log onto the game. It’s that simple. Playground Games will be sending it out automatically alongside the next content update’s release. Players will be able to obtain all the usual goodies from the Forzathon Shop using the credits. The next content update is expected in a matter of days, so you can expect the Forzathon points to arrive in your inventory before Christmas at very worst. Playground apologizes for Forza Horizon 5 server issues In a December 2 statement, Playground Games acknowledged “since launch, it’s been frustrating to play online, whether it’s with your friends or the wider community, due to numerous issues around matchmaking, connectivity and teaming up in Convoys.” However, the developers are working on fixing the server issues affecting Convoys, Horizon Arcade, Horizon Open, Leaderboards, and more. “While these are only some of the areas needing fixes in Forza Horizon 5 that we know about and are actively working on, we wanted to give visibility on these pressing issues so that you know that we hear you and improvements are on the way,” they added.

Well, a recent tweet posted to the Forza Horizon Twitter has teased the addition of the Singer DLS to the Horizon roster. On this month’s combined @WeArePlayground stream/Forza Monthly, we’re celebrating the launch of Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox Series X and Series S! Tune in at https://t.co/rXLuDbn3NJ. pic.twitter.com/Zgk5i4cXZw — Forza Horizon (@ForzaHorizon) November 2, 2020 Forza Horizon 4 teaser for next-gen This is definitely a teaser for the car fanatics out there. The tweet simply invites Forza fans to join this month’s ‘We Are Play Ground’ stream alongside a graphic displaying a distinct set of rear lights. It is these rear lights that has led fans to believe the Singer DLS is on its way to Forza Horizon 4. What is the Singer DLS? Based on the 946-generation 911, the Singer DLS is a reimagined and upgraded version of the original model. The 4-litre air-cooled engine provides the vehicle with over 500 horsepower and a top speed of 186mph. So, it’s fair to say it packs a punch. Of course, all this quality comes with a hefty price tag. A brand new Singer DLS would set you back $1.8 million dollars, so it’s definitely not one to add to your Christmas list this December. However, if we can believe the recent teaser on Twitter, Forza Horizon fans should be able to take the car for a spin very soon. A Standout Vehicle The addition of the Singer DLS into Forza Horizon 4 will bring Porsche’s roster of cars in-game to over 40. However, there’s a lot of elements to the DLS that separate it from the pack and are sure to make it a fan favourite vehicle. Be sure to tune into the @WeArePlayground stream airing November 5th, 11 AM PST at Forza’s official Twitch channel.

  • Forza Horizon 4 players slam “toxic” community ruining online play – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 4 players slam “toxic” community ruining online play Forza Horizon 4 is a family-friendly racing game for the Xbox and PC, but it seems not everyone that plays it is friendly themselves, with hundreds of players slamming the online community and ranked play system. Online multiplayer is one of the greatest features of gaming in the 21st century. With players able to collaborate and play together regardless of where they are located, it is a wonderful feature that has allowed friendships to grow and businesses to become established in the world of esports. Unfortunately, there are those that abuse online gaming platforms, and that is exactly what has happened here on Forza Horizon 4. The built-in ranked games are designed to show off the best-of-the-best that FH4 has to offer, but some choose to play over-aggressively, with other players blasting them as “toxic.” Forza Horizon 4’s “Toxic” ranked play matches In a situation that was first highlighted on Reddit by user u/BabaJuhnJuhn, players in ‘Ranked’ matches are doing everything possible to sabotage the game for others. In the video that was shared on the online forum site, it is clear to see that the Redditor is being forced off the road and slammed into by their opponent. Unfortunately, it seems that this is far from a rare occurrence, judging by the number of responses in the comments section of the post. In the 24 hours that the post has been up at the time of writing, over 200 comments have been amassed. The majority of these also appear to be in agreement with the OP, slamming the state of Forza Horizon 4’s “toxic” online culture. How to improve Forza Horizon 4 online play The top comment on the post not only agrees with the OP, but also offers a number of suggestions for how the devs could improve online play for all: “It’s one of the reasons I do the absolute minimum when it comes to ranked events. Nothing worse in a ranked team event when your so-called “teammates” seem to spend the whole time trying to muck it up for their own team.” “I have also started to notice in the Drag series that people seem to have problems going in a straight line, usually when they realize they aren’t going to win. I so wish there is some way the game developers could penalize these idiots as it is ruining what is a cool concept within the game itself.” Sadly, a vast majority of comments further the above thoughts, with many saying they no longer play ‘ranked’ matches due to issues with players sabotaging the games for their own gain. There are also numerous calls to implement compulsory physical damage in matches, or make them strictly non-contact, with a punishment for those that blatantly flout the rules. Either way, it is clear that this is a big issue within the Forza Horizon 4 online community. Whether we will see Playground Games respond is unclear, but until then, at least this Redditor can rest easy knowing they still beat the would-be saboteur.

  • Forza Horizon 4 player merges gameplay with real driving and it’s amazing – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 4 player merges gameplay with real driving and it’s amazing Reddit: u/Bsi11y_RacingForza Horizon 4 is widely regarded as one of the best-looking car games currently available on the market. But, blending in-game footage with real-world video takes it to a whole new level, as this amazing Reddit video shows. Sometimes, a video pops up that has everyone scratching their heads. This is one of those instances, with real-world video and in-game footage from Forza Horizon 4 blended together in a way that has Redditors questioning what is real. Forza Horizon is known for its excellent suite of in-game photography options, though this video takes it way beyond simple still images. Forza Horizon 4 blended with reality In the video post shared to Reddit, user Bsi11y_Racing blended in-game footage with real-world video, to create an unorthodox hybrid that is equally confusing and impressive. While the steering wheel has clearly been edited in during post-production, it has allowed the Redditor to use their own hands and driving gloves, lending additional credibility to this unique blend of reality and gaming. Choosing to use the BMW M2 in Horizon 4, the video appears to show the user ‘walking’ up to the car before it cuts to the in-car footage. It is precisely this ‘walking’ segment that has other Redditors scratching their heads. While players are able to ‘fly’ around the world of Forza Horizon in-game, the strangely natural ‘bob’ from the footage looks very real. Whether the footage is simply slow-moving in-game drone footage that has been sped up, or had some other trickery applied is unclear. We did find out how the first-person view footage was constructed, however. “I film with a headcam and then put it all together after. Oh, how good would VR be,” was the answer from the original poster when asked about the footage. By headcam, we can only assume that he is referring to the arms and steering wheel, which is merged into the first-person driving view. The rest appears to be shot in Forza Horizon 4 itself, with clever editing resulting in the believable finished product. At the moment, many of us wish we could take our sports cars for a blast on some country lanes – at least this player has found a great compromise!

  • Forza Horizon 4 DLC glitch spawns cars onto invisible island – Dexerto

Forza Horizon 4 DLC glitch spawns cars onto invisible island MicrosoftForza Horizon 4 has benefitted from a multitude of DLC during its time, with a mixture of car packs and fully-fledged expansion packs such as Fortune Island. One player seems to have discovered a glitch with the Fortune Island DLC, which allows it to be used before it is installed. Glitches in Forza Horizon 4 are nothing new. We’re big fans of the hilarious and sometimes mind-boggling glitches and bugs that players find and share, but this one is just outright strange. Having purchased the Fortune Island DLC expansion, this player managed to somehow access the island while the DLC was still installing. While it’s strange enough that the game would let this happen, the results of using the incomplete DLC were even stranger. Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island glitch Fortune Island remains one of the biggest DLC packs to be made for Forza Horizon 4. Adding an entirely new island for players to enjoy, along with a host of new challenges and ‘treasure hunts.’ Given the depth of the expansion, it has proved popular with players, including Redditor u/LoganH1219. However, it seems their enthusiasm to explore this new expansion caused an unusual glitch. By accessing Fortune Island before the DLC had finished installing completely, they were presented with a floating car, and a completely invisible environment. To make it even more unusual, the game continued to be playable. The crowds were also present, apparently cheering on a floating vehicle while standing on thin air. Despite the environment being invisible, LoganH1219 was able to still drive around as normal. The environmental effects – such as ‘spray’ from the sea – were also still present, adding to the unusual situation. While in this instance the glitch occurred due to the DLC being incomplete, it is apparently not an isolated incident. According to the comments on the post, other users had experienced the same issue, despite their DLC being “fully installed.” Whether this is simply an unusual loading glitch or an issue that has come as a result of recent updates is unclear, but hopefully, Playground Games will issue a patch if it is the result of a bad update bug.

Bugatti Divo 2019 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 958 – Speed: 9.6 – Handling: 9.9 – Acceleration: 10 – Launch: 6.2 – Braking: 9.5 – Offroad: 4.4 – If you’re looking for great Breaking, Handling and Acceleration, look no further than the Bugatti Divo 2019. With a near-perfect score for all three, you’ll be able to zip around the map without fear of burning out and spinning off-track. Hoonigan Ford ‘Hoonicorn’ Mustang (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 951 – Speed: 9.2 – Handling: 6.7 – Acceleration: 10 – Launch: 7.4 – Braking: 5.9 – Offroad: 5.5 – If you’re less concerned about steady Handling and Braking, the Ford ‘Hoonicorn’ Mustang has awesome Speed at 9.2, and even better Acceleration at 10. A glass cannon of sorts, you’ll be able to fire down the race track and keep up with the best, but you’ll likely suffer against cars that have equal or better speed with nicer Handling. Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car 2019 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 959 – Speed: 8.5 – Handling: 9.2 – Acceleration: 10 – Launch: 10 – Braking: 9.4 – Offroad: 4.6 – Clocking in at the slowest overall on our fastest car list, the effortlessly cool Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car picks up with slack in other areas, with a perfect 10 stats score for both Acceleration and Launch, with a reliable 9.4 for Braking. McLaren Speedtail 2019 Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 910 – Speed: 9.6 – Handling: 7.4 – Acceleration: 6.8 – Launch: 7.4 – Braking: 7.4 – Offroad: 3.7 – It wouldn’t be a Speedtail if it wasn’t fast, and the McLaren does not disappoint in FH5 at a 9.6 in Speed. Despite this, its other stats leave much to be desired, so you’ll likely need to do some serious turning to take it to another level if you want that reliability in other areas. Bugatti Chiron 2018 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 927 – Speed: 10 – Handling: 7.9 – Acceleration:9.9 – Launch: 6.1 – Braking: 8.6 – Offroad: 5.0 – The Bugatti Chiron features a perfect 10 Speed stat, coupled with the almost perfect 9.9 for Acceleration. While it suffers slightly on Offroad performance with a middle-of-the-road 5.0 and a slow-but-steady 6.1 Launch, you’ll ooze style as you take on your opponents in a flash. Hennessey Venom GT 2012 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 911 – Speed: 9.7 – Handling: 7.4 – Acceleration: 6.4 – Launch: 7.4 – Braking: 7.8 – Offroad: 4.1 – Got a few 1.2 million spare Credits lying around? The Hennessey Venom GT will get you where you need to be, and fast, at a dizzying 9.7 Speed. However, its other stats definitely leave something to be desired, but with some tune-ups, it’ll be worth every penny. Porsche 918 Spyder 2014 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 920 – Speed: 8.8 – Handling: 8.9 – Acceleration: 10 – Launch: 10 – Braking: 9.3 – Offroad: 4.6 – The Porsche 918 Spyder 2014 is pretty decently stacked across the board, only suffering when it comes to its offroad performance. While its Speed is the second-lowest on our fastest cars list at 8.8, you’ll see decent consistency across its other stats. Koenigsegg Agera RS 2017 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 980 – Speed: 10 – Handling: 9.7 – Acceleration: 7.0 – Launch: 7.6 – Braking: 9.7 – Offroad: 4.3 – Featuring a stunning design, this car is beastly in everything those looking for a fast car in FH5 would need – a 10 in Speed, a nifty 9.7 Handling stat, and 9.7 for Braking to ensure you’re taking on those corners with more confidence. Rimac Concept Two 2019 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 963 – Speed: 9.1 – Handling: 7.5 – Acceleration: 9.9 – Launch: 10 – Braking: 9.3 – Offroad: 3.8 – The Rimac Concept Two 2019 costs a pretty penny, sure, but the combination of a zippy 9.1 Speed, 9.9 Acceleration, and a cool 10 Launch will have you finish fast in a flash. Coupled with a cool 9.3 for Braking, you’ll be able to ensure those great drifts, and prevent an ill-timed break from having too much of a negative impact. Koenigsegg One:1 2015 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 983 – Speed: 10 – Handling: 9.5 – Acceleration: 7.0 – Launch: 7.5 – Braking: 10 – Offroad: 4.3 – One of the best cars on this list, the Koenigsegg One is worth the steep 2.8 million Credits you’ll need right out of the gate. With that perfect 10 Speed, 9.5 Handling, and 10 for Braking, it won’t need many tune-ups to help it to compete with the best. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 2011 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 913 – Speed: 9.9 – Handling: 7.9 – Acceleration: 10.0 – Launch: 5.9 – Braking: 8.6 – Offroad: 4.9 – The gorgeous-looking Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is a nice mid-point if you quite haven’t earned the Credits for the Koenigsegg One, with a near-perfect Speed of 9.9. It pales in comparison for Handling and Breaking, sure, but its 10.0 for Acceleration ensures it’ll still be able to keep up when it counts. Koenigsegg Jesko 2020 (S2) Performance Class & Rating: S2 / 971 – Speed: 10 – Handling: 10 – Acceleration: 6.9 – Launch: 7.4 – Braking: 9.0 – Offroad: 4.4 – The Koenigsegg Jesko is an absolute must for those looking to practically fly throughout Mexico, with an impressive 10 in Speed, Handling, and a reliable 9.0 for Braking stats. What’s the fastest car in Forza Horizon 5? Based on accumulative performance stats, the Koenigsegg Jesko of the S2 class appears to be the fastest. While both the Jesko and the Koenigsegg One is a 10 in terms of Speed, the Jesko beats it to the finish line with a 10 in Handling, too. A fantastic alternative would be Rimac Concept Two 2019. While it only hits a 7.5 for Handling, it’s got almost perfect Launch and Acceleration stats, allowing it to take off much quicker and reach those top speeds in a flash. • Does Forza Motorsport have VR support? – Dexerto

Does Forza Motorsport have VR support? Turn 10Forza Motorsport is a breathtaking game that takes racing to the next level. Here is a guide on whether it has VR support or not. Forza Motorsport is a brand new competitive take on the franchise. In this game, the developers have introduced circuit racing and have left the casual aspects on the sidelines. Nevertheless, it is a racing game which means VR is bound to provide an immersive experience. Therefore, it is natural that players want to know whether Forza Motorsport has VR support or not. Here is what you need to know about VR support in Forza Motorsport. Is there a VR support in Forza Motorsport? No, Forza Motorsport does not have VR support. This was confirmed by the developers during a live QA. In fact, they also cleared the fact that there are no plans to bring VR on Forza Motorsport either. This might make a few fans unhappy, but it seems like the developers have decided to drop it for now. However, the reason behind this might be related to Xbox is not very fond of VR as a feature. The console does not have its own VR device either, which means that a game like Forza Motorsport do not feature it. In any case, a racing game with VR does look quite good. In fact, it would have provided an aspect of thrill and realism. It looks like, for the time being, players need to stick to normal racing and hope that Xbox decides to start working on dedicated VR support in the coming days. This concludes our guide for VR support in Forza Motorsport. If you found it informative, do not forget to check out some of our other guides at Dexerto. • Does Forza Motorsport have qualifying? – Dexerto

Does Forza Motorsport have qualifying? Forza players have not been able to qualify in any of the franchise’s 13 entries making it one of the biggest missing features. Given this, many fans are wondering if the new Forza Motorsport reboot has qualifying at last or if the wait will continue. The new Forza Motorsport game marks the first entry in the main series since 2017. With such a long break between titles, fans have high expectations and are hoping Forza Motorsport addresses some of the franchise’s most notable omissions. Amongst those missing features is qualifying which has not been a core feature of any Forza game since the franchise debuted in 2005. Meanwhile, most of its competitors like F1, Gran Turismo, and Asseto Corsa offer the ability to qualify. With expectations as high as ever many are hoping this is the entry that changes this and finally adds one of the most important aspects of racing. Can you qualify in Forza Motorsport? Forza Motorsport has qualifying but only in its Featured Multiplayer series where players are required to qualify to decide their starting position ahead of the race. The duration of Qualifying is dependent on when you join an active event. If you join early it can last over 20 minutes giving you plenty of time to practice beforehand. However, joining late could see you have just a few minutes to qualify instead. There is no qualifying in The Builders Cup, Forza’s single-player career mode. Instead, your starting position is manually selected with you earning more credits the further back you start. Equally, it is not currently possible to allow qualifying in Private Multiplayer as the revamped race weekend format is not present. It is only possible to determine grid order by PI, best lap in previous race, and random. That’s everything you need to know about qualifying in Forza Motorsport. • Crazy Forza Horizon 5 launch glitch turns some cars into rockets – Dexerto

Crazy Forza Horizon 5 launch glitch turns some cars into rockets Playground GamesA new bug in Forza Horizon 5 is allowing players to take things off the racetrack and into the stratosphere by launching their cars into the air like a rocket. While the main attraction of the Forza Horizon franchise is the unparalleled open-world racing experience, some drivers have been getting a taste of a completely different style of transportation in the game as of late. A newly discovered bug has players testing the limits of what their cars can handle when soaring like an airplane through the skies of Mexico. While this kind of flight makes for a shaky landing, the things being achieved in the air are impressive in their own right. Forza Horizon 5 launch glitch sends cars sky-high In order to make the glitch work, you’ll need to be using either the 2017 Ford “Brocky” or the Sierra Cars RX3. When driving off any ramped surface, turn so that only two wheels make contact with the ground and immediately pause the game. This will cause the car’s suspension to compress, and when the game resumes, that compression will release and send the car high into the air. Installing advanced tuning to either car will also have a dramatic effect on how far the launch will take you, but that’s not the only thing that helps. One user noted that leaving the game paused for an extended period of time also increases the distance: “It seems that the longer you pause the further it launches you. At least that’s my conclusion from testing I’ve done.” Another commenter was disappointed with the state of the game, suggesting that something like this should have been taken care of before release: “Hahaha, can’t believe I pre-ordered this game on reflection, looks hilarious though good find!” While a problem like this is likely to get patched pretty quickly in FH5, there are other games that have a problem keeping their cars on the ground that could scratch the same itch when this gets removed.

Crazy Forza Horizon 5 glitch is turning cars into uncontrollable lowriders Playground GamesA Forza Horizon 5 glitch lets players get a peek of how vehicles would look as a lowrider and the bug can even be spammed to break cars out of the garage. There are dozens of ways to customize your car in FH5 but not many that lower the vehicle to the ground. That could be why some people are appreciating the bug that looks as if they’ve equipped air suspensions to give it a lower profile. Horizon 5 has been lauded for the incredible amount of freedom it gives to its players, which could be why some players are now asking for the glitch to be a full-fledged feature. Though it might be a little while before Playground Games gives in to requests, Forza players are having a laugh recreating the glitch for themselves. Forza Horizon 5 lowrider glitch The FH5 bug plays on the pop-in animation for a car when a part gets switched out. When quickly flipping through different suspensions, you’ll start to notice that the car gets inches lower to the ground. Doing this over and over again makes the effect even more apparent and it even makes the car creep forward a little bit. Read more: Forza Horizon 5’s Horizon World Cup update – Redditor ‘KuhMuhOinkQuack’ showed the glitch on a 1956 Ford F-100, motorheads’ longtime favorite pickup to bring down with air suspensions. As the car inches forward, players can even make it bug out of the entire garage to make it freely float above the game’s generic landscape when in Garage mode. Longtime Forza fans were quick to point out that this bug has a long history in the game, as a similar glitch has been known to exist since FH2. A bug like this might be an easy fix for the devs, but it’s also harmless enough to leave it in. With enough time and attention to the bug, hopefully, Playground Games could consider one-day introducing lowrider customization options without having to use a Forza Horizon 5 bug.

  • Crazy Forza Horizon 4 glitch makes players drive through the ground – Dexerto

Crazy Forza Horizon 4 glitch makes players drive through the ground Reddit: u/gr8b8m8Ir8it8outa8Forza Horizon 4 thrives on its open-world map, with plenty of areas for players to explore. Unfortunately, not all exploration is deliberate, as a number of Redditors have discovered thanks to an unusual bug in the game. Players of Playground Games’ popular open-world racer Forza Horizon 4 are always looking for new areas to explore. With the map being a miniaturized version of England with a number of iconic landmarks replicated in-game, there are numerous hidden areas and discoveries to be made. Not all discoveries are intentional, however. A number of players have been posting to Reddit’s r/Forza and r/ForzaHorizon pages, sharing a reoccurring glitch that forces players underground. Forza Horizon underground map glitch While most glitches and bugs shared to Reddit are one-time events, with so many players reporting the same issue, it seems this is a regular bug encountered on Horizon 4. In every instance we’ve seen, the unusual event occurs after landing a jump, rolling over and/or hitting a ‘solid’ object within the game. In the video below, for example, posted by jmesser794, the player is forced underground by the glitch. Having successfully navigated the rough terrain, the vehicle then hits a bump and rolls over. Initially, it appears there is nothing unusual about this. After all, it is very easy to roll cars in Forza Horizon — but what happens next is very strange indeed. With the car still on its roof, it rolls into a tree, stops completely, and then disappears below the map. Entering the seemingly endless void, the player is able to look up and see the ‘world’ disappearing above them. While this particular video has extra hilarity points thanks to the classical music accompaniment, this Redditor is far from the only one to report this particular glitch. A number of other players have reported similar issues, and it appears to be happening regardless of the season. However, it seems that crashing into a solid object while upside down is the main trigger for the glitch. It remains to be seen whether Playground Games will issue a fix for this in the upcoming Series 29 update. Until then, why not give it a go yourself and see if you can replicate the results above.

  • Classic wheelie tune is turning Forza Horizon 4 cars into Beyblades – Dexerto

Classic wheelie tune is turning Forza Horizon 4 cars into Beyblades Capable_Beyond via RedditA classic trick in Forza Horizon 4 lets players prop their car on two wheels, giving motorists the ability to make them rotate on their bumpers for Beyblade-like topspins. [jwplayer smynPnSq] By tuning your vehicles so that its wide tires catch on the tarmac in Forza, players can get a pretty jarring wheelie that could only be said to experiment with in a video game. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be doing donuts with only one pair of wheels in no time. Just note, there isn’t much of a practical application to the trick, if at all. But just like racing a Ferrari on the same track as a Volkswagen Golf, Forza is all about making drivers’ wildest dreams come true. To pull off the reverse wheelie, there’s going to be trial and error runs as you redistribute weight to the front of the car while changing everything from the gearing to the differentials in the Tune settings. Reverse Wheelie tune Some of the best cars to perform the Reverse Wheelie are low, lightweight cars like the Volkswagen Golf or the Ford Fiesta that don’t take a lot of power to get them propped off the ground. Make sure to install a 1.6L I4 Turbo Rally engine block in there and a stock Drivetrain while removing any unnecessary aeros like the rear wing or rear bumper. Like mentioned before, you want wide tires. Something that won’t spin off the road but also won’t drag the car. So equip the 225 MM Front tires along with a smaller 185 MM Rear tires that will allow the back to lift. Set drivetrain and ‘platform and handling’ parts to Race attachments, but the Spring and Dampers can be kept to Rally options. As for the car’s Tune, while every car is going to require the slightest adjustments, try to have all the tire pressure in the front. Likewise, turn down the Final Drive gearing to around 2.2, max out the Front springs and empty the Rear springs, the front bump stiffness should be set to 10, the brake balance should slightly skew to the front, and braking force should sit at 150%. Differentials on acceleration and deceleration should be at 100%, then find a drag strip to test out the configurations. Now, to actually pull off the wheelie, it’s all about hitting 0-max while going in reverse. And if you want to do a regular wheelie, just mirror the settings and attachments and you’re off to the races, so to speak.

  • Bizarre Forza Horizon 4 glitch is making cars bounce uncontrollably – Dexerto

Bizarre Forza Horizon 4 glitch is making cars bounce uncontrollably Reddit: u/mecurt78Forza Horizon 4 continues to dominate the open-world racing genre, but it’s not without its issues. One Redditor has found a glitch in the game that appears to turn the Clio Williams into a pogo stick during a cinematic cutscene. The world of Forza Horizon 4 remains popular, out-ranking any other Forza title for gameplay numbers by a considerable margin. In spite of this, bugs, glitches, and hilarious moments pop up frequently online, with anything from random ‘sinkholes’ in the game to glitches that turn cars into spaceships. One thing you may notice about these glitches is that they mostly happen during gameplay, with players in control of their vehicles. Cinematic cutscene glitches are rare since these animations are pre-determined by the game devs, but they are not impossible. Forza Horizon 4 Clio Williams glitch The glitch in question, posted to R/Forza by Reddit user mecurt78, shows the cutscene before one of the ‘Upgrade Heroes’ missions. In these missions, the player drives a Renault Clio Williams to ‘collect’ a car, which is brought back to the workshop for upgrading and customization. Unusually, however, it is during the cinematic scene that the glitch hits. While the voiceover is still playing correctly, the car behaves in a very… unique way during the scene. The Clio Williams appears to drive through a wall, and then proceed to bounce up-and-down as if it is on a trampoline. As if that wasn’t enough, the car then sits perfectly upright on its rear bumper, before slowly toppling over the wall in a see-saw like motion. From what we can see, this is an isolated incident of a glitch in the cutscene. Ironically, the overdub says “Nervous, me? I’m not nervous” as the car continues to glitch. We’d certainly be nervous if our car was toppling over a stone wall!

The Forza Horizon series returns with another high-powered installment into the series. This time the game brings you to the open roads of Mexico to race your friends and rival drivers. When it comes to playing the game, many fans may agree that your favorite controller is your best bet. However, others choose to raise the difficulty a bit by playing the game with a realistic steering wheel. Best Forza Horizon 5 steering wheels For this list, we’re going to showcase the newest model available by each company. However, this doesn’t mean that older wheels are not supported — these will be listed below. Logitech G29 (PC only) and G920 (PC and Xbox) The Logitech G29 and G920 are very similar wheels at almost identical price points. However, the G29 is compatible with the PC and Playstation as the G920 is for the PC and Xbox. While Forza Horizon 5 is not available for the PlayStation, you can still use the wheel for the PC version. Read More: How to buy & sell cars in Forza Horizon 5 – Both devices are gear-driven with roughly 10.5-inch diameter, leather-wrapped wheels. These come in at a lower cost than most other options, sitting at roughly $250 on Amazon for the steering wheel and pedal setup, with the optional matching shifter coming in at just over $50 extra. Logitech Momo (PC) The Logitech Momo offers six fully customizable buttons on the wheel face, with built-in presets for most of your favorite games. Coming in at a similar price point to the G29 and G920, fans of this wheel sacrifice the clutch pedal for a more comfortable design and a slightly bigger diameter wheel. Thrustmaster T150 (PC) Just like the Logitech G29, the T150 is compatible with the PC version of Forza Horizon 5. While it comes stock with plastic pedals, the wheel is belt-driven instead of gear-driven to provide a smoother, more realistic force feedback. This budget offering from Thrustmaster comes in at about $200 on Amazon. Thrustmaster TX The Thrustmaster TX series wheel is on the high end of the company offering, coming in with a price of almost $600. While that’s pretty costly compared to others listed, it offers an upgraded force-feedback system, a hand-stitched and leather-wrapped wheel. Not to mention the upgraded T3PA pedal set that is full metal, weighted, and provides a clutch. Fanatec Clubsport v2.5 If you’re looking to fully immerse yourself into a built sim-racing rig, or you just have a ton of money to spend, the Fanatec Clubsport v2.5 is for you. Coming in at $549 for just the motor for the wheel, you’re looking at anywhere from $200 to $700 more for the wheel itself. • 5 biggest features we’re excited for in Forza Horizon 5 – Dexerto

5 biggest features we’re excited for in Forza Horizon 5 XboxThe next entry into the beloved Forza racing series is coming later this year, but during E3 2021 we got an ample amount of news around the new game and the content coming from Playground Games! Forza Horizon 5 was announced during the Xbox E3 2021 showcase, and it looks to be the best entry into the beloved franchise when it releases for Xbox and PC users on November 9, 2021. But, with the flurry of news surrounding the game during E3 2021, the developers held a special deep-dive where we got to see some insight into some of the components around the game. During the walkthrough, we learned some pretty interesting snippets around Horizon 5, that make it line to be the best game in the series! 5 big things we learned from E3 2021 With news of the new Forza Horizon game coming later this year, E3 2021 was the perfect time for developer Playground Games to showcase some of the new features coming to Horizon 5. We learned quite a bit from the conference, and here are the best features about Horizon 5 that are unique to it! Mexico will be the biggest setting of any Horizon game The new place of racing in Forza Horizon 5 will be in the beautiful country of Mexico. With multiple regions within the game, Playground Games have noted it will be the largest scaled map for any Horizon game. As well, there are going to be plenty of biomes for players to race around, with a special focus on desserts. Weather will change the map During the gameplay deep-dive on Twitch on June 14, they noted that the weather around Mexico will impact how the map is at all times. During one instance, you may be cruising along the highway, and then all of a sudden you spot a storm brewing on the horizon. Similar to how Battlefield 2042 is going to work, we may see a lot of outcomes with these weather effects, including the volcano they are implementing into the game. Player customization gets an upgrade Also touched on during the deep-dive was more news around how players will be able to customize their driver even more. Now, we will be able to choose our pronouns, more hair and color options, along with prosthetic limbs! Car customization gets fine tuned One of the best aspects of any Forza game is fine-tuning your car to make it a machine on the track. This is getting a much-needed upgrade in Horizon 5, as we will now be changing our brake calibers and other parts they have yet to announce. One aspect we would love to be able to change is the exhaust sound or to even add underglow to our vehicles, a feature Need for Speed Heat has been praised for. Multiple Festivals The Horizon Festival is the story feature within Horizon 4, and while it is amazing at times, players have found it to be lacking at some points. Well, now they have announced that Horizon 5 will feature multiple Festivals for players to partake in, and while they cannot share any more news at the time. We can assume it will be segregated into different car classifications and types, so this is bound to be a massive improvement over Horizon 4! These are our handpicked features about some of the best content coming to Forza Horizon 5, be sure to check out everything you need to know about the game through our coverage here.

There’s no doubt this is gearing up to be Forza’s most ambitious project yet, and while we know what a large portion of the map is going to look like. We still don’t know a whole lot about the cars that are going to be in the game. As of now, we only have seen around 50 within the game, and Horizon 4 featured 400 So, there’s still a lot we don’t know going to be driveable, but we’re sure this news is going to flow in within the coming months. • Fortnitemares 2020 could be bringing back Zombie Husks with a twist – Dexerto

Fortnitemares 2020 could be bringing back Zombie Husks with a twist Epic GamesFortnite’s annual Halloween event has evolved over the years though new leaks stemming from the 2020 iteration of Fortnitemares could hint at a return of controversial Zombie Husks. [jwplayer uZppK6qI] Introduced back in 2017, Fortnitemares began as a Save The World event. It soon expanded as the spooky festivities took over the battle royale mode in 2018 as well. It was in this version of the annual event that players were forced to fend off hordes of Zombie Husks. Cubes would spawn around the map as dozens of AI-controlled Husks would charge toward squads. It could often be overwhelming and outright end your run if they’re not taken care of instantly. This led to a rather drastic change in the 2019 event where individual Zombies would spawn at random while looting instead. While certain emotes and various items have already leaked, we now have a new piece of intel on the upcoming Fortnitemares event. Nothing is set in stone though it appears the 2018 threat could be returning in some form. In Fortnite’s 14.30 update, plenty was changed on the surface and under the hood. As new content was added in, Epic Games also made some secret adjustments in preparation for the Halloween-themed event. “A sound for the Zombies cube spawners was changed in 14.30,” prominent dataminer ‘Mang0e’ revealed. While this could be nothing of significance, it would be odd for the developers to make a change like this out of the blue. There’s no telling exactly how these cube spawners will be adjusted, though it seems certain they’ll be back in some form. This means every player will need to be on high alert just like in 2018. You won’t have individual jump scares to worry about this year, but overwhelming swarms of AI could threaten your run. A sound for the zombies cube spawners was changed/updated in 14.30. pic.twitter.com/rVm5uPRoEv — Mang0e (@Mang0e_) October 14, 2020 We won’t have to wait long to see how the annual event evolves this time around. The 2020 iteration of Fortnitemares doesn’t yet have a date locked in. However, things typically kick off in the final week of October. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few days as the frightful update rolls around. In the meantime, be sure to get ahead of the upcoming event with our rundown on everything we know about Fornitemares 2020 so far.

  • Zack Snyder would love to make a Fortnite movie – Dexerto

Zack Snyder would love to make a Fortnite movie Epic GamesRebel Moon director Zack Snyder loves Epic Games’ Fortnite: Battle Royale, so it’s not surprise he’s ready to helm a Fortnite movie. With Rebel Moon’s imminent Netflix release, director Zack Snyder has been making the rounds in interviews talking about the project. Surprisingly, though, he’s also been answering questions about this other passion: Fortnite. Snyder has previously spoken about his love for Fortnite. With press junkets for Rebel Moon in full swing, it was only a matter of time before someone asked the obvious question: would Snyder consider directing a Fortnite movie? Zack Snyder says a Fortnite movie could happen – “Never say never” In an interview with Etalk, Snyder was asked if he’d ever direct a Fortnite movie. Snyder emphatically answered he would love to do the project, revealing he had already tried to get a Rebel Moon tie-in to the game. “Of course!” Snyder said. “I was trying to make Fortnite skins for the movie, as just the most obviously, basic involvement. Fortnite is an amazing world, and it is an amazing distraction for me, but it’s really cool. The alchemy that they’ve created there is really unique. When I started playing it, I thought I knew what it was, and then it was something entirely different.” Zack Snyder’s love for Fortnite is no secret. The acclaimed director behind 300 and Batman v Superman revealed he’s a fan during 2023’s Gamescom event, frequenting the Zero Build mode as Mr. Meeseeks. Still, it may be a pipe dream. Fortnite remains a property that does not currently have a film in development. The game has been almost entirely focused on its video game identity, including multiple new modes that were recently added. That could change at any time, though, especially with the success of recent video game movies like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Five Nights At Freddy’s, or upcoming video game fare like Minecraft or The Legend of Zelda. Regardless, Snyder seems to feel like a Fortnite movie is always in the realm of possibility. “You definitely don’t know,” he said. “You definitely can never say never. That’s my mantra in this business.” Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire will premiere on December 22 through Netflix. YouTuber ‘NoahJ456’ Hits Insane Game Winning Trick Shot Snipe While Riding a Guided Missile in Fortnite NoahJ456YouTuber ‘NoahJ456’ continues to display his affection for doing crazy stunts and tricks in Fortnite while rocket riding. The self-proclaimed “rocket ride god” added to his resume on July 31 with an incredible, game-winning trick shot snipe while riding the newly added Guided Missile. The popular YouTuber was playing Fortnite live on his stream when he found himself in an end-game situation near Paradise Palms with only one other player left alive. After shooting down some of the opponent’s cover, he proceeded to launch a Guided Missile and jump on it, leading him to the point where he hit the game-winning snipe. FIRST GAME GETTING A GUIDED ROCKET AND I PULL OFF THIS RIDICULOUS TRICKSHOT OMGGGGGGGGGGG pic.twitter.com/GWFJm3F8zM — NoahJ456 (@NoahJ456) July 31, 2018 The degree of difficulty of NoahJ’s stunt is rather high, considering that he had to hit the snipe while moving laterally away from the opponent at a relatively high speed. Furthermore, the attempt was risky because if he had missed, there is no telling where he would have ended up and what kind of fall damage he would have taken. However, he did not miss, as his snipe hit the enemy player cleanly, with the new slow motion Victory Royale animation kicking in right at the end. Perhaps the best part of the entire video was the reaction at the end; after hitting the shot he could do nothing but yell maniacally and run around in excitement. “OH MY GOD! I am the rocket ride god ladies and gentlemen. You will never see something like that ever again in your life baby. Let’s freaking go!” As mentioned previously, NoahJ is known for his crazy rocket riding stunts in Fortnite; before the Guided Missile had been vaulted, he had managed to travel from one corner of the map to the other by just riding rockets.

  • YouTuber Jacksfilms accuses Fortnite of ‘stealing’ his Deep Dab dance – Dexerto

YouTuber Jacksfilms accuses Fortnite of ‘stealing’ his Deep Dab dance Popular YouTube star John ‘Jacksfilms’ Douglass has accused Epic Games of ‘stealing’ his Deep Dab dance with their newly released emote, but used a genius way to score a profit. Publisher Epic Games have come under fire in the past for cosmetics and dances released in the daily item shop, facing multiple lawsuits from individuals who claimed to have intellectual property rights over such moves. Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton) and rappers 2 Milly and BlocBoy JB have all pursued legal action against the developers over dances they believe were ‘copied’. Despite their lawsuits, it appears Epic have continued to take inspiration for their emotes from popular stars. YouTuber Jackfilms released a video on June 20 titled “Fortnite is literally selling my deep dab” referring an emote that was first seen in the item shop on the same day. After watching the emote in-game, Douglass remarks “That’s me!” highlighting a video that was published on his channel exactly two years ago which is extremely similar to the Fortnite dance. The 30-year-old was bombarded by his fans after the emote was leaked and revealed he received no contact from Epic Games it would be coming to the game. “Epic Games did not contact me, I had no prior knowledge that this was coming to the game,” he said. “Can we just compare the two moves? “They are the same thing. It’s practically motion captured.” Rather than pursue legal action against the developer, Jacksfilms revealed he will instead be creating a support-a-creator code, which allows him to take a percentage of the money generated from item shop purchases. Although the law is not exactly clear, dance steps and routines generally aren’t protected by copyright law, so it seems the American has made the right move to profit from the emote’s inclusion in-game.

  • YouTuber IShowSpeed breaks desk & sings after stream sniper ruins Fortnite match – Dexerto

YouTuber IShowSpeed breaks desk & sings after stream sniper ruins Fortnite match YouTube/IShowSpeedPopular YouTuber IShowSpeed was so livid after stream snipers kept interfering with his Fortnite match that he broke his desk and started singing a bizarre Ellie Goulding and Miley Cyrus mashup. iShowSpeed has been growing as one of the biggest rising stars on YouTube and infamously found himself banned on Twitch at the end of 2021 after a sexist outburst. With over 5.5 million subscribers on the platform, Speed has made quite a name for himself, but sadly, fame doesn’t come without its fair share of negatives, including stream snipers. During a February 27 broadcast, the streamer found himself battling stream snipers hellbent on ruining his Fortnite match and they set him off right over the edge. IShowSpeed destroys desk and starts singing As the steamer touched down onto the battlefield, he immediately found himself under fire from snipers. “Ya’ll are weird, bro,” he said while taking a duel against a foe. “Stop stream sniping, bro. The hell you doing?” Following this, Speed found himself in a one-on-one in close quarters against an opponent where he ended up losing. This infuriated the YouTuber who began to rain fists down onto his desk, seemingly damaging his equipment. (Segment begins at 1:26:20 for mobile users) What made it even weirder was that immediately after, he began singing Miley Cyrus’ hit ‘Wrecking Ball’ and Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’ simultaneously. Luckily, it seems like he was either able to repair his stream or had some spare equipment because he returned the next day. Still, he may want to think twice before he rages on stream, as it gives stream snipers exactly the reaction they were looking for.

  • Fortnite stream sniper explains how he manages to jump into Ninja’s games – Dexerto

Fortnite stream sniper explains how he manages to jump into Ninja’s games To the dismay of streamers and professional players, Fortnite is rife with stream snipers and there isn’t any end in sight. Epic Games have implemented settings like Streamer Mode to stop vulgar usernames popping up on a streamers screen, but it doesn’t stop people getting into games. Stream delays can be implemented but even that doesn’t stop the best of the stream snipers. Now, In a video titled, ‘I stream sniped Ninja to get BANNED in Fortnite..’ ShotGunPlays describes the process of how he stream snipes some of the biggest names in the game. “As he’s queuing as well, I’m in a game and he’s still queuing which probably means I’m not in his game. I back out and keep checking his delay because he could be queuing in like 10 more seconds from now.” He continues to say: “If I instant queue now, I could get into his game. That’s essentially how you do it. I think, at least, because this is what I’ve done and it’s worked for most of my stuff.” Read More: Tfue and Symfuhny discuss their current feelings towards Fortnite, suggest most pro players feel the same – ShotGunPlays warns viewers that they can be banned for stream sniping – and he has been banned on a few accounts, but he was making the video to show how Epic Games’ reporting system ‘sucks.’ “I have to try queuing and calculate the match delay because it is kinda random. I just have to queue, tab over to his stream so I can see if he’s queuing too,” he says. He initially joins the game of a smaller streamer – called Nico – and begins trolling them and attempts to secure an elimination, in turn, revealing his new account name, StremStripeReport, to the streamer. After a small build battle, ShotGunPlays puts himself into a mounted turret and kills the streamer revealing his identity. ShotGunPlays attempts to join a game of Ninja’s but when he does eventually end up in a game with the streamer, he lands in the wrong area – killing his chances of stream sniping him. Read More: There’s an easy way to complete Fortnite’s 30 seconds of airtime challenge He later revealed that he had been reported by a number of people he has stream sniped but it took far longer than he thought it would and that he was banned for ‘teaming,’ without a real stream sniping reason.

  • Young kid tries to stream snipe Ninja during NYE event and fails miserably – Dexerto

Young kid tries to stream snipe Ninja during NYE event and fails miserably Red Bull / Epic GamesTop Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is often the target of ‘stream sniping’, but these pesky opponents aren’t always successful. During his New Year’s Eve event, streamed live from Times Square, New York, Ninja was being targeted by these ‘stream snipers’ more than usual, with all eyes on him. Stream snipers are players who watch a popular streamer to see where they are in game, and attempt to find them in a match and seek them out, typically to eliminate them. One such player even had the audacity to stream his attempts at targeting Ninja on Twitch – a bannable offense on the platform. Going by the name ‘Boxdy’, the player even had his Twitch username in his in-game name, but since Ninja was playing in ‘streamer mode’, Boxdy’s name would not appear on screen if he eliminated Ninja. However, despite knowing Ninja’s exact location on the map, and using a plane to get there in moments, Ninja’s skill and building ability proved too much for the young player. Ninja had earlier expressed in his stream that he was constantly being targeted by players with ‘Twitch’ in their name, presumably meaning that they too were stream snipers. However, Ninja is now often hesitant to accuse opponents of stream sniping, after he found himself in some controversy by falsely accusing a player and demanding that Epic ban them, despite having no evidence that he had in fact been ‘sniped’.

  • Young Kid Has a Major Breakdown After Being Caught Spending £200 of Parents’ Money on Fortnite Skins – Dexerto

Young Kid Has a Major Breakdown After Being Caught Spending £200 of Parents’ Money on Fortnite Skins A young kid showed a great deal of remorse after he was caught spending £200 (~$269 USD) of his father’s money on skins and other items in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Although Fortnite is ‘free-to-play’ across platforms such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS, players have the opportunity to purchase various items through ‘V-Bucks.’ The in-game currency can be used to buy a collection of different skins, outfits, emotes, and much more, with the items being strictly cosmetic to bring a ‘fresh’ feel to the game. Even with its ‘free-to-play’ nature, Fortnite cemented itself as the most successful free console game of all-time after brining in a staggering $223 million across the month of March via in-game purchases. However, some have questioned wether or not in-game purchases within any title have the possibility of being a liability, especially when young children may have their parents’ credit card or bank information linked to an account. A Twitter user by the name of @ashleighjwil was put in that exact situation after her little brother was caught spending £200 (~$269 USD) of their parents’ money on Fortnite skins, leading her to record the entire family encounter. Many Fortnite streamers will frequently play random duos or squads as a way of interacting with unsuspecting fans, making for some hilarious stream moments. FaZe Clan streamer ‘Cizzorz’ was doing just that when he ran into a huge fans that simply couldn’t control himself the whole time. Once he loads into the game, Cizzorz asks his duo partner if he’s there and it’s at that point that the player recognizes who they’re playing with and loses their mind. “Are you the real one? No way!” yells the young fan as the players choose a landing spot. “It’s him! That’s him!!” This goes on for a couple minutes as the reality of the situation sets in on the player and his friends in the room with him. The pair makes it pretty far in the game before eventually the youngster is taken down, leaving Cizzorz to finish out the game on his own. He puts up a valiant effort but is eventually eliminated and the duo comes in fifth place. Immediately after Cizzorz dies, the kids completely lose it, pleading for the moment to not end. They yell variations of “No!” and “Please no!” over and over as Cizzorz thanks them for the time and tells them to have a great day. Clearly unsure of what exactly just happened, Cizzorz stares blankly at the camera as he queues up for the next game. The kids might have been sad for the game to be over, but at least they’ll always be able to say they played with one of the biggest Fortnite streamers on Twitch.

CouRage took it upon himself to help the youngster get his own YouTube channel. Within the first twenty-four hours of uploading his very first video, Connor’s channel received over 30,000 subscribers. • Young Fortnite player asks out girl on stream with amazing result – Dexerto

Young Fortnite player asks out girl on stream with amazing result Asking out your crush is never easy, but this 13-year old Fortnite player absolutely knocked it out of the park live on stream. Fortnite has a huge competitive scene but sometimes you just want to hang out with your friends and enjoy some games casually. Doing this is also a great way to meet even more players to play with as you can queue up with a team of randoms if you’d like – and you never know what you’re going to run into. Reddit user and Twitch streamer josuerodriguez23 was matched up with a young boy, believed to be around 13 years old, who was struggling with just how to ask his crush out. The boy, whose in-game name is CrYpTic_Psj, was telling his teammates how nervous he was about asking her out. “We’re just friends but I kinda have, like, have feelings for her,” he said. “She’s gone right now, so don’t tell her anything, ok?” The Twitch streamer agreed to remain tight-lipped but did warn that if he didn’t ever let her know about his feelings, somebody else would. The streamer even revealed he had been rejected twice before. Comment byu/josuerodriguez23 from discussion inFortNiteBR As it turns out, the young kid took this advice to heart and immediately worked up the courage to let her know how he felt as soon as she returned from the bathroom. A lot could have easily gone wrong here, but amazingly, it all turned out fine and he even got the answer he was looking for. “Ashley, I have something to tell,” he said. “So, we’ve been friends for like a while now. So, I was wondering, if, like, cause I have had feelings for you for a while now. Do you wanna date?” She almost immediately says yes, which is when the 13-year-old lets out a victory screech. In an absolutely wild turn of events, the exchange ends with both of them telling each other that they love each other. The streamer had the best seat in the house as the whole incident, that played out for a little over two minutes, ended up being quite the roller coaster of events. It’s a heartwarming display of just how pure young love can be and we hope all the best for the new couple!

In fact, the games briefly overtook Fortnite as the most watched game on Twitch on launch day.

  • You won’t see Samus in Fortnite due to Nintendo exclusivity says ex-Fortnite Boss – Dexerto

You won’t see Samus in Fortnite due to Nintendo exclusivity says ex-Fortnite Boss Donald Mustard/NintendoEx-Fortnite boss Donald Mustard has revealed in an interview why Nintendo won’t let a Samus Aran skin in Fortnite. Here’s the reason. Fortnite is known to engage in collaborations with not only celebrities but also iconic video game characters across various franchises and platforms. Over the past years, Fortnite has collaborated with Halo, Uncharted, God of War, and Street Fighter to bring their characters as in-game cosmetics. However, when it comes to Nintendo, Samus Aran has been a top choice for Ex-Fortnite boss Donald Mustard. Samus is the protagonist of the long-running Nintendo-exclusive franchise Metroid, with the first game going back as early as 1986. But when Epic and Mustard approached Nintendo for a Metroid x Fortnite crossover, things got a bit more complicated with Nintendo only wanting their exclusive characters to appear on their console, even though, Microsoft and Sony exclusive characters can be used across all platforms in Fortnite. In a recent interview with Game File, Mustard spoke about his stint with Epic while working in Fortnite and said he wanted three crossover console skins in the game and only got two. The skins in context are Halo’s Master Chief from Xbox, God of War’s Kratos from PlayStation, and Metroid’s Samus Aran from Nintendo. Chief and Kratos made it in the game as skins, but sadly Samus didn’t since Nintendo declined the offer. “They got really hung up on their characters showing up on platforms that weren’t their platforms”, Mustard told Game File. Since Fortnite ran on all consoles and PCs, even mobile at the time, meaning all the console crossover skins would appear on all of them. But Nintendo didn’t like that. “They would be thrilled to have Nintendo characters in Fortnite, but just only if it’s on their platform”, said Mustard elaborating on the situation. Furthermore, he told Game File, that Epic would want the characters to be available on all platforms. “For me and for all of Epic, we’re like, ‘That is an absolute must.’ We want to make sure that Fortnite is the same experience, no matter what screen or device you’re playing on”, Mustard said. Nintendo has collaborated with Fortnite in terms of Switch Bundle skins in the past that were only exclusive to owners of the console. However, those outfits were original designs by Epic and not famous characters. Still, there’s not been a single character from Nintendo-exclusive games that have made an appearance in Fortnite yet.

  • You can ride Stink Bombs in Fortnite just like Rockets – Dexerto

You can ride Stink Bombs in Fortnite just like Rockets Remember when everyone worked out that you could ride on top of the missiles from the Rocket Launcher in Fortnite? Well, now players are doing something even better. If you weren’t already aware, you can ride the Stink Bomb too. Yes, you read that right, the throwable item can be jumped on in a very similar fashion, as Reddit user ‘kuzner’ proved with a recent video. In that video, you can see a player named ‘Zolo II’ leaping onto one of the smelly grenades as his teammate throws it – something that we’re willing to bet 99.9% of people had no idea was possible. To top things off, Zolo made the most of his Stink Bomb ride and managed to hit a sniper shot on the last remaining opponent in order to secure the Victory Royale! There have been instances of players riding the Stink Bomb in the past, but this particular clip has caught the attention of the community and gone viral, meaning you’re likely to encounter far more players attempting it from now on. The Stink Bomb ride might not compete with the Rocket Ride when it comes to the distance you can travel, but there’s something rather profound about tearing an opponent’s head off while riding along in a cloud of toxic gas. The Stink Bomb was added to the game in June as part of the v4.4 Content Update and is usually used to gas players out of structures when they try to hide. Now, though, they are sure to be used for completely different purposes!

  • You can rack up 350 battle stars in Fortnite thanks to a glitch in Fortnitemares [UPDATED] – Dexerto

You can rack up 350 battle stars in Fortnite thanks to a glitch in Fortnitemares [UPDATED] Update: Epic Games has confirmed this patch has now been fixed, after it was live for around an hour. However, because it was their fault, you will keep everything you unlocked: We have just released a fix for some of the Part 3 Fortnitemares challenges that were granting Battle Stars instead of XP. Please be aware, the UI will still show the reward as Battle Stars until the next update. This was our goof and you will keep everything you’ve already earned. Original article below. A bizarre glitch as part of the third set of Fortnitemares challenges has been discovered, allowing players to rack up a total of 350 battle stars. It is caused by the fourth challenge of Part 3, which is a staged challenge requiring players to visit different locations on the map, the first being Wailing Woods. The first stage works as normal, but stage 2 and 3, Visit Fatal Fields and Visit Haunted Hills, reward 150 and 200 battle stars respectively, a ludicrous amount. At the time of writing, Epic Games has not commented publicly on what is undoubtedly an unintentional glitch. Typically, and as all the other challenges show, the tasks are supposed to only reward players with XP, not battle stars. Presumably, these challenges are meant to reward 150 XP and 200 XP, but it seems an error has lead them to reward battle stars instead. Fortnite solo world record for most kills broken on console However, there is a high chance that once a fix is issued, Epic will retract the battle stars earned and replace them with XP, as intended.

  • You can now play Search & Destroy on Dust2 in Fortnite – Dexerto

You can now play Search & Destroy on Dust2 in Fortnite Valve / Epic GamesA new custom map in Fortnite, created by FaZe Clan pro Megga, allows players to play the Search and Destroy game mode on a recreated version of the iconic Counter-Strike map Dust2. The creator tools available in Fortnite have led to some fascinating community contributions over the title’s impressive first two and a half years. Classic modes from other competitive games like Capture The Flag and Team Deathmatch give players a break from the classic battle royale mode. A new creation from FaZe Megga brings a beloved game mode from two iconic shooter titles and one of the most recognized maps from one of those titles to Fortnite. Search & Destroy (if you’re a Call of Duty fan), or bomb defusal (if you’re a fan of CSGO) is now available from the creative hub, with a 5v5 or a 1v1 setting available. It’s played on a version of Dust2, a popular map that’s synonymous with the Counter-Strike series. Competitive Search and Destroy | Dust II (1v1-5v5) No Random Teams Map Code: 9344-9150-4786 A SnD Map that you can finally wager on! pic.twitter.com/QHIpWl2hPd — Megga (@Megga) January 26, 2020 The Fortnite version is heavily influenced by the in-game economy system of CSGO, requiring players to spend money on weapons and utility at the beginning of rounds, just like that would in a competitive Counter-Strike match. It even has an a similar buy timer at the beginning of each round that expires. Building is, of course, restricted in this custom mode, and it appears that all players on the same team wear identical skins. To access the map, load in the creative hub in Fortnite, and go over to one of the featured hub portals. Hold down E to change the destination, and enter in the code, 9344-9150-4786. Once the portal is fully loaded, walk through to enter the lobby, invite your friends, and then press E again to start the game. For fans of Fortnite unaware of how the game mode is played, S&D/bomb defusal is a mode that pits two teams of five against each other. One attacking team has a bomb that they are trying to plant and detonate on one of two bomb sites, while the defending tries to stop them. The attackers win if the bomb detonates or they kill all the defenders, and the defenders win if they kill all of the attackers or defuse the bomb. Defenders can defuse even if attackers are still alive, and even if all they die, they can still win if the opponents can’t defuse the bomb in time. This game is the definitive mode for CS:GO players, for both public matchmaking players playing competitive, and for the robust pro scene. Search & Destroy is one of the competitive game modes used in pro and semi-pro Call of Duty as well, including the Call of Duty League. While this Search & Destroy is unlikely to become a focal point of the competitive Fortnite scene, it is an early taste of a game mode that is rumored to be officially coming to the game soon.

  • You can now play Dust 2 from CS:GO in Fortnite and it’s incredible – Dexerto

You can now play Dust 2 from CS:GO in Fortnite and it’s incredible Epic Games/ValveFortnite’s recently incorporated Search and Destroy mode has been overwhelmingly popular with the community, and they can now experience it on an incredible Dust II remake. The recent shift in popular titles of incorporating and encouraging fan creativity has led to some truly awesome crossovers. Tools like Fortnite’s Creative mode enable players to be wholly original. A great example is Cizzorz’ deathruns, which have captivated the Fortnite community. Only a few months ago we saw Black Ops II’s Raid brought to CS:GO, and now CS:GO fans are lending one of its best to Epic Games’ acclaimed third-person battle royale. Team Evolve are known in the Fortnite community for their Creative work, regularly impressing fans and followers with wholly original and unique concepts. They proved their skill for Fortnite Creative again on February 14, as they shared their recreation of CS:GO’s Dust II. The successor to the original Dust map, it has been lauded as one of the best in Valve’s FPS title. A quick glance at the recreation shows how excellent it is. The most iconic spots have been recreated with stunning accuracy, despite the obvious aesthetic differences between Fortnite and CS:GO. https://twitter.com/teamevolvefn/status/1227647034850709504?s=20 However, the remake is not just for viewing. Evolve provided the Fortnite Creative Code to play the Dust 2 remake, as well as a seriously impressive cinematic showcasing vast parts of the map. They also offer a Discord for gamers wanting to meet other players on the map. Given the similarities between Search and Destroy and CS:GO’s bomb defusal mode, the two are an ideal combination for offering some variety to Fortnite before Season 2 launches. https://twitter.com/teamevolvefn/status/1228383292820480001?s=20 It really should be that simple to get your hands on Dust II in Fortnite. We’re not sure it was in high demand from players, but the recreation is so spot on that many will want to try their hand at it. While Fortnite’s Search and Destroy mode has been praised, many fans have criticized the game for a lack of tangible new content over Chapter 2, Season 1. That should change soon with Season 2 set to launch on February 20, following a slight delay.

  • You can fly with the new Quadcrasher vehicle in Fortnite – Dexerto

You can fly with the new Quadcrasher vehicle in Fortnite The brand new Quadcrasher vehicle added to Fortnite in the latest update, v6.10, might surprise you, as it is more than just a land vehicle. The official description for the Quadcrasher provided by Epic Games – “Propel yourself and a friend into battle with this new two-seater vehicle” – doesn’t give much away. But, when they say ‘propel’, they mean it quite literally, as you can launch yourself (and a friend) high into the air with this insane looking vehicle. With a large powerful thruster fitted to the rear end, the Quadcrusher can take off like a jet engine, and if you find yourself a small ramp or hill, you can get some serious airtime. More: Fortnite V6.10 map changes – Tilted Towers demolition work, new race track, Pizza Pit and more – And just like the ATK (Golf Buggy), you will also get high scores depending on how impressive your jump was, measuring distance and flair. Team Liquid’s Chap was one of the first Fortnite players to test out the new Quadcrusher, and used both it’s back thruster and front ram to soar out of Tomato Temple. In fact, you don’t even really need a ramp to pull off a crazy jump with the Quadcrasher, as the thruster mechanic will simply launch you into the air no matter what, as Chap again found out. This time he rolled off the edge of Dusty Divot, thrust mid fall, and was sent spinning back in the direction from whence he came. Of course, the main purpose of the Quadcrusher is to actually crush, and it is pretty good at that too. By simply ramming any wall or structure with this thing will tear it down, which will be useful for making escapes as well as taking down enemy builds. It’s not clear just yet how often the Quadcrasher spawns, or every location to find it on the map, but if you see one you will most definitely want to give it a shot. It is easily the most useful vehicle so far, providing some functional utility other than simply faster travel, unlike the Shopping Carts or ATK.

  • xQc’s return to Fortnite ends with stream sniper-induced rage-quit – Dexerto

xQc’s return to Fortnite ends with stream sniper-induced rage-quit Epic Games / Twitch: xQcFelix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s return to Fortnite ended in chaos after he rage-quit due to stream-snipers constantly ruining his games, telling fans that it felt like he was playing Call of Duty Zombies. xQc is no stranger to encountering stream-snipers in his games. It’s something he’s vented about many times before. He’s even come up with some creative ways to deal with them, although it doesn’t always work. However, a series of encounters with stream-snipers during his Fortnite return proved too much for him to bear. After persisting for a while, he was eventually left with no choice but to rage-quit the game, claiming it was no longer fun. “I can’t even play the game. I can’t even do anything,” said xQc as he slowly spiralled. “You’re using a dogsh*t advantage of knowing where I’m at and knowing what I’m doing. It’s all against one. How is that being competitive? You’re just a cringelord.” He kept playing despite his frustration, but it only got worse. “This is getting annoying. This is how it is these days. I play one multiplayer game online, and it becomes a stream sniper fest. I can’t play anything properly.” Still, he wasn’t ready to call it quits. He came up with a solution. “I need to land in areas that have enough bullets to kill everybody. I have to kill all of them otherwise I won’t survive. Literally, I have to kill eighty of them.” But unfortunately, it was too much for the juicer-warlord to handle. “I’m playing Call of Duty Zombies,” he yelled while rage-quitting from the game. “I’m done with this. I’m done. That was the last game. I’m over it.” It’s not the first time xQc’s experience on Fortnite has been ruined by stream-snipers. It happened in December 2020 and June 2021. It’s also happened in other battle royale games like Call of Duty Warzone, too. It might be a while until we see xQc hop on Fortnite again. However, when he does, he’ll almost certainly need to deal with stream-snipers again.

  • xQc tells fans what he thinks of the Fortnitemares in-game event – Dexerto

xQc tells fans what he thinks of the Fortnitemares in-game event The dramatic in game ending to Fortnite’s ‘Fortnitemares’ event has a ton of people talking, including streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, who told his fans he thought the ending was pretty awesome. “Now, let me stop this for a minute,” the streamer tells fans as he pauses the video of the ending event. “I’m seeing a lot of sleepers and hahas and POGs and whatever sort of upset about this dude.” “Dude, this is actually pretty crazy man, the devs of the game care enough to make an event that only lasts one time that takes a lot of time to do and create and shit,” xQc explained to viewers. “You fucking with the game you played cared enough to do crazy shit like that, you wish they cared enough to make good balance changes and make new content and exciting shit,” the streamer ranted. “You fucking wish they cared enough, but they fucking don’t,” xQc continued. “And it sucks, this dogshit fucking retard game keeps getting all the attention, and it sucks that it’s that game that gets all of it, but it’s fucking POG when you think about it, even if it’s bad.” The ending to the Fortnitemares event took players into a real-time cinematic during the game and changed the map right there too. “If any big game cared enough to do shit like that in their big game it would be 20 times more POG,” xQc ended as saying. “But they fucking don’t, they don’t care and it fucking sucks.”

  • xQc slams Fortnite’s competitive changes as “unfair” in Season 5 – Dexerto

xQc slams Fortnite’s competitive changes as “unfair” in Season 5 xQc/Epic GamesTwitch streamer Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has slammed the current state of Fortnite’s competitive arena mode and the casual features it includes. The release of Fortnite’s Season 5 has brought a wealth of changes and new content for players to check out. These new features include new NPC’s, dialogue, and side missions which have been added to both the standard and competitive mode. Epic’s decision to add these extra features to Fortnite’s competitive mode has displeased certain members of the community. Twitch personality xQc has voiced his opinion on the matter in a heated rant whilst streaming. xQc criticizes Fortnite’s competitive mode in rant Everybody enjoys checking out new features in games, especially when it’s as exciting as a new season in Fortnite. New dialogue, music, and NPC’s all assist in making gameplay more immersive and fun, but should they be added into a game’s competitive mode? That’s the ongoing debate taking place in the Fortnite community as Epic has opted to add all of Season 5’s new features to the competitive mode. This had led to members of the community arguing that these features water down the competitive nature of arena matches. Twitch personality xQc has expressed his view on the topic, slamming Fortnite’s competitive mode in a rant on stream: “how is that I queue for a competitive game mode and there is quests to do, there’s bots, there’s side missions… I queued to play against players.” As you can see, it’s obvious xQc isn’t the biggest fan of the new features added to competitive. A competitive mode should provide players with an environment in which skill determines a victor. Therefore, it’s easy to see why members of the Fortnite community are frustrated that these features are being added to arena matches. A solution offered by xQc is to clearly establish a casual and competitive mode: “I feel a lot of the time this game tries to bridge competitive and casual at the same time… that’s unfair to people who only care about competitive.” Currently, casual and competitive receive the same features so it’s difficult to establish a difference between the two. This is certainly an issue Epic may have to address if the community continues to complain about the cluttered state of the game’s competitive mode.

  • xQc rages at “dumb” Fortnite stream snipers – Dexerto

xQc rages at “dumb” Fortnite stream snipers Epic Games/Twitch: xQcIn classic Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel fashion, the popular Twitch streamer called out stream snipers after being repeatedly hunted down during a Fortnite stream. Stream snipers have been the bane of the existence of content creators everywhere for a long time now. The act, which sees viewers land on streamers as they watch to ruin their games, became super popular during the huge wave of popularity Fortnite saw during 2018. This has continued to be a huge problem for our favorite streamers until now where, no matter what game is being played, streamers will get griefed by viewers just wanting to get one over on these top players. That said, some streamers definitely get it worse than others. While NICKMERCS viewers, for example, might be familiar with his “friendly” stream snipers that drop him loot and money, or will simply follow him and form an army against enemy players, xQc gets quite the opposite. With the recent Chapter 2, Season 5 update in Fortnite, the game is seeing a lot of players returning, especially with the wait for Warzone’s integration with Black Ops Cold War, which has been delayed to December 16. More than once, xQc was traversing the Fortnite island or just landing in and a barrage of stream snipers would land on him, swinging their pickaxes and firing shots, leaving him no option but to succumb to their shots. Finally, xQc broke and called out the stream snipers, calling them “dumb” and saying that they need to “get a job” after yelling in frustration. Stressing that he “can’t even play” the game when stream snipers are constantly griefing him like this, xQc has clearly had enough, and it’s hard to blame him when you know that every time you drop into a match you’ll have a multitude of people hunting you down and following your every move. Whether his stream snipers do actually stop remains to be seen, but given how popular he is, the issue might not ever be completely eradicated.

  • xQc, Pokimane nearly banned from Fortnite for “teaming” with stream snipers – Dexerto

xQc, Pokimane nearly banned from Fortnite for “teaming” with stream snipers Twitch: xQc / PokimaneFelix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys were nearly banned from Fortnite after “teaming” with a group of stream snipers, which goes against the game’s community guidelines. Twitch streamers have been diving back into Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 en masse to re-experience the game now that building has been removed. xQc and Pokimane are among them, and they’ve enjoyed it so far. However, they narrowly avoided a ban while playing together on March 25 after “teaming” with stream snipers — a term that means intentionally coordinating with other players to achieve a mutually beneficial goal. xQc is no stranger to being stream sniped in games. It happened again in Fortnite. A swarm of them surrounded xQc and Poki while they were trying to play, jumping around for their chance to be seen on stream. Rather than let it bother them, xQc and Poki decided to make the most of the situation and have some fun. xQc urged them to keep it cool and started issuing orders. He asked them to form a line and slide down a hill. However, just when he was about to start counting down, xQc and Poki were both kicked out of the lobby with the following message: “You have been kicked for teaming. Please remember to play fair in Fortnite.” The pair were speechless after it happened. xQc asked fans whether it was something that happened automatically. Meanwhile, Poki apologized to hers. However, since it was the first time, it didn’t result in a ban. “Oh my god, I’m so glad we’re not fully banned,” said Poki. “I actually thought we would be fully banned. We need to create a custom game if we want to do that.” Then, they dusted themselves off and re-queued.

  • xQc blows 10-year-old kid’s mind with bizarre Fortnite rant – Dexerto

xQc blows 10-year-old kid’s mind with bizarre Fortnite rant During a random duos match on Fortnite Battle Royale, popular Twitch streamer xQc was hilariously owned by the kid he was playing with after an angry rant. Félix ‘Overwatch pro player and for playing a variety of games on stream. Taking once more to Fortnite, xQc found himself in a random duo with a younger kid and, when at first he thought his teammate didn’t have a microphone, immediately went on a comedic rant. “Get your Dad off the Bluetooth, get your Mom off the f***ing phone, get your brother off the Switch, plug your mic in!” he shouted, which swiftly prompted the kid to get his mic running and respond. “Bro, chill,” his duo said. “Who you yelling at?” “Sorry dude, my Mom came in with some food I told her to shut the f*** up, she knows not to come in my room when I’m playing Fortnite,” the Canadian joked in response. In one of the coolest responses imaginable, the kid simply responded, “that’s a yikes, bro,” forcing xQc to burst out laughing. This wasn’t the end, though, as just a couple of minutes later xQc tried to get him with the classic “Joe Mama” joke – but it got reversed on him, leaving the Canadian with no response but to ready up for the next game. Not many kids would be as witty or confident as the one xQc met in his stream, and leaving him speechless is a pretty big task that not many would be able to do. He should be proud of his meme knowledge and colloquial linguistic abilities, and maybe next time xQc will make himself better prepared to have his jokes reversed on him.

  • xQc humiliated as attempt at trolling child in Fortnite backfires – Dexerto

xQc humiliated as attempt at trolling child in Fortnite backfires Twitch star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was left humiliated after his attempt at trolling a random kid in Fortnite backfired hilariously. Not only is xQc well-known for his career in the Overwatch pro scene as a Tank main, he’s also gained a huge following on Twitch for his cheeky personality and bold outbursts during broadcasts. His latest stint saw the 23-year-old trying to embarrass a child while playing the popular battle royale title Fortnite, but unfortunately for the streaming star, his attempt fell flat. xQc’s failed Fortnite troll xQc was playing random duos in Fortnite on November 11 when he was matched up with a young boy who didn’t seem to know who the streamer was. The two ended up placing 46 out of 100, and while they were still spectating the match together after their defeat, the Twitch star decided to try and troll his teammate. Read More: How to get Fortnite’s Merry Mint pickaxe – “Hey, you there?” he asked his partner. When the boy said he was, the Canadian asked, “Did you hear about Joe?” “What? Oh, yeahyeahyeah…” the kid responded. “Yeah, yeah, he’s cool!” xQc was confused by this, as his teammate was supposed to say no. “Really? Wait, wait, maybe we’re not talking about the same Joe. What’s Joe’s full name?” he asked. “Joe Mama!” the kid responded, shocking the streamer as he didn’t think he’d be caught out. “Okay…” the Canadian replied, before putting his head in his hands out of embarrassment at his failed joke. xQc is currently one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, boasting over 1.6 million followers and over 25,000 subscribers as of the time of this article. While he’s mainly known for his Overwatch skills, the streamer does venture out into other games from time to time – even if it’s just to troll kids in Fortnite.

  • xQc gives scalding opinion on the state of Fortnite esports – Dexerto

xQc gives scalding opinion on the state of Fortnite esports Blizzard / Epic GamesPopular streamer and Overwatch pro Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has spoken out on the current state of Fortnite’s esports scene – and he had a scorching take on the competition. xQc addressed the current debate as to Fortnite’s skill gap during a livestream of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on January 4, where he claimed that the game was never meant to be competitive, in the first place. “Dude, the game was never meant to be competitive,” he argued. “Ever. The game is literally designed for children, and has no competitive value in any sense, ever.” xQc went on to address Epic Game’s stance on the issue, claiming that the company cares more about the money made from their esports initiative rather than the competitive community behind it. “The only reason there’s a competitive scene is because they [Epic] can make money off of it, but they don’t give a fuck about it,” he continued. “…they’re catering to their audience. It’s getting easier. The game was easy to begin with.” xQc isn’t the first to have spoken out about the state of esports within the Fortnite scene, either; Epic’s implementation of the ‘BoomBox’ item the day of $100k WSOE 3 saw mass outrage across the community, with the likes of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, and other personalities decrying the decision. Epic has a history of introducing game-breaking items ahead of massive tournaments, to boot; the company revealed the highly controversial ‘Infinity Blade’ item ahead of their Winter Royale series in early December, vaulting the weapon shortly thereafter.

  • xQc discovers how “broken” Fortnite controller aim assist is – Dexerto

xQc discovers how “broken” Fortnite controller aim assist is xQc/Unsplash/Epic GamesFelix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has become the latest big streamer to try out a controller in Fortnite and show off just how “broken” some believe it is. Since the battle royale portion of Fortnite was released by Epic Games, players assumed that keyboard and mouse users had the upper hand over controller players because they were able to build at a more efficient pace with their binds and mouse flicks. However, in recent weeks, players have reported a shift to controllers, with professionals like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf, and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff all weighing in on how powerful controller aim assist can be. So, while trying out the new season of Fortnite, xQc chose to use a controller, as well as his trusty mouse and keyboard, to see if there was really a difference. While he found success with using the keyboard and mouse, it was using the controller that xQc realized he could seemingly just spam the aim assist all the way to a win. As he danced around the new Agency location, he switched back and forth between the two peripherals, picking up kills with both. Yet, when he used the controller, he seemingly couldn’t miss a shot – even though his enemy tried to build a ramp to create space between them. “This is broken,” he said after getting the kill and switching back to the keyboard and mouse setup. “That’s f**king broken. What a disgusting thing dude. Why is that even in the game?” “What? I just pick up the controller, hold the button down and that’s it, they all die and it’s over,” he finished, “literally nothing they can do about it.” While xQc might be ‘disgusted’ by how powerful using a controller can be, it’s unlikely that the complaints from himself, and other players, will spark a major change. The aim assist given to controller players is often regarded as something that can level the playing field but the keyboard and mouse users still, pretty much, dominate the professional scene.

  • xQc calls out Epic for double standards over FaZe Jarvis’ Fortnite ban – Dexerto

xQc calls out Epic for double standards over FaZe Jarvis’ Fortnite ban Popular Fortnite were stunned to find out that Jarvis had been permanently banned from the battle royale title for using an aimbot cheat on a second account. His YouTube video on the topic immediately went viral, and has sparked responses from personalities like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. However, while Ninja stated the ban was heavy handed on the content creator, xQc took a different line – mocking Epic Games’ double standards when it comes to striking down the ban hammer on players. “Why does he think that the company would unban him? He cheated and ruined the games of a bunch of players that are potential customers for them or whatever, like I don’t know, this is kind of fu**ed up,” xQc said after watching Jarvis’ video during his November 4 stream. After a few moments of silence, the streamer followed up on his original point, aiming his crosshairs at Epic’s earlier decision to unban cheaters ahead of the Fortnite World Cup. He continued: “If they unban him, it sends the message that you can cheat and get away with it. Oh wait, wait, they already did that! With the other pro that cheated and was able to compete again and qualify and go to LAN! “Holy s**t, I forgot. No, you’re actually allowed to cheat. Holy s**t dude, that’s fu**ing nuts dude. That is actually insane.” The Canadian isn’t the first person to bring up the example of XXiF being given a two-week ban ahead of the Fortnite World Cup, as it was something FaZe Tenser tweeted about immediately after Jarvis’ video. While he remains currently banned from Fortnite, many of his fellow professional players and fans have started the #FreeJarvis campaign on Twitter in the hopes of getting the ban overturned. Whether or not it’ll have an impact though, remains to be seen.

  • xQc believes Fortnite controller players have huge advantage with “busted” aim assist – Dexerto

xQc believes Fortnite controller players have huge advantage with “busted” aim assist xQcFelix ‘xQc’ Lengyel believes Fortnite controller aim assist is too powerful and that it gives players a huge advantage over their PC counterparts. The Fortnite controller aim assist debate is as old as the game itself. In fact, this topic is often discussed heavily within many popular FPS games. While both input devices have clear advantages and disadvantages, xQc believes that Fortnite controller players have it best thanks to aim assist. In fact, the streamer demonstrated to his viewers just how potent this mechanic is when using a controller. After all, being able to instantly snap onto a target’s body can make for some incredibly quick kills, especially in close-quarter fights where quick reactions are imperative. xQc believes Fortnite controller aim assist is broken During his recent Fortnite stream, xQc switched to a controller to highlight just how powerful aim assist is. After dropping into Condo Canyon, the popular streamer simply zapped onto nearby targets and gunned them down before they could even react. “I’m not even aiming,” shouted xQc as he quickly eliminated one player. The streamer then ran downstairs and snapped onto another enemy. “Holy f*ck, are you seeing this? Oh my god, it’s busted!” xQc was surprised by just how powerful the controller aim assist seemed to be and he managed to kill three players before being downed. Of course, while controllers may have a good advantage when it comes to these particular scenarios, mid to long-range firefights can be a little trickier. This is especially true when players wish to land precise headshots at range with snipers or ARs. Meanwhile, mouse and keyboard can easily track enemies and use flicks to instantly reposition their cursor. Ultimately, the device you use won’t dictate how skilled you are at the game, but it can help increase your survivability in certain situations – an area that was highlighted by xQc in his latest clip.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer backs Fortnite & Epic Games in Apple lawsuit eVRydayVRMicrosoft has now entered the Apple v. Epic Games fray, throwing their weight behind the Fortnite developer as Apple prepares to cut off developer access to the Unreal Engine at the end of August. Apple announced on August 17 that they would be cutting off Epic Games access to their iOS and Mac developer accounts at the end of the month amid the ongoing lawsuit over Fortnite transactions. This would effectively stop Epic from updating the Unreal Engine, which they own and run, for use on Apple operating systems. Developers that use the system – including Microsoft – would end up being high and dry as a result, so the tech giant submitted an official statement affirming their support for Epic. Today we filed a statement in support of Epic’s request to keep access to the Apple SDK for its Unreal Engine. Ensuring that Epic has access to the latest Apple technology is the right thing for gamer developers & gamers https://t.co/72bLdDkvUx — Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) August 23, 2020 Microsoft’s Xbox lead Phil Spencer explained that they had filed the statement in support of Epic because: “Ensuring that Epic has access to the latest Apple technology is the right thing for game developers and gamers.” The company has plenty of reasons for supporting the company and the Unreal Engine, since many of their games available on iOS and Mac use it, like Forza Street, for example. “If Unreal Engine cannot support games for iOS or macOS,” the statement clarifies. “Microsoft would be required to choose between abandoning its customers and potential customers on the iOS and macOS platforms or choosing a different game engine when preparing to develop new games.” “Even uncertainty about the Unreal Engine’s ability to continue supporting iOS and macOS will make it less likely for Microsoft (and, I believe, other game creators) to select Unreal Engine for their projects,” it continues, which could be a look at things to come if Apple does go on and remove Epic’s dev accounts. So far, Apple has shown no sign of backing down from its end of August deadline, and it’s unknown if the courts will intervene to stop them either, even with Microsoft’s latest actions supporting Epic in what has escalated into much more than just a lawsuit over in-game transactions.

  • Wreck-it Ralph is about to be set loose on the Fortnite servers – Dexerto

Wreck-it Ralph is about to be set loose on the Fortnite servers Disney / YoutubeAfter Fortnite players spotted a large Wreck-It Ralph image on the screen in Risky Reels, they anticipated some sort of collaboration was being teased, and it sounds like the fans were correct. Wreck-It Ralph 2 just released on November 21, and like past collaboration with Disney and Avengers: Infinity War, Fortnite is teaming up in promotion of the new movie. Ralph was first spotted in game on the screen in Risky Reels, making a cameo appearance for only mere seconds. However, the official Wreck-It Ralph Twitter page has sparked more rumors of the collaboration, replying to a Fortnite tweet about a new emote in the game, which imitates Ralph’s dance. Fortnite promoted the new “Hot Marat” emote with the tag line “Check yourself before you Wreck yourself” – with ‘wreck’ conspicuously capitalized. To which the official Wreck-It Ralph Twitter responded “Hey @FortniteGame, Ralph is on the loose! Keep an eye on your servers.” Hey @FortniteGame, Ralph is on the loose! Keep an eye on your servers — Ralph Breaks the Internet (@wreckitralph) November 24, 2018 At first, this could have just been a meaningless interaction, poking fun at Fortnite’s servers being unstable, but fans believe it hints at a more serious collaboration coming. Fortnite’s Twitter also replied, sparking even more speculation, writing “Thanks for the heads up – We’ll be sure not to get rekt.” The collaboration with Avengers: Infinity War saw a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) mode added, where players could play as the movie’s villain, Thanos, by finding his Infinity Gauntlet on the map. The possibilities are wide-ranging for a Wreck-It Ralph collaboration, from new skins and cosmetic items to another new LTM, fans are eagerly awaiting what is next.

  • 5 worst places to land on the Fortnite Chapter 2 map – Dexerto

5 worst places to land on the Fortnite Chapter 2 map Epic GamesFrustrations tend to boil over in Fortnite Battle Royale when you or your team drop at a terrible location and it’s no different in Chapter 2. There are some dreadful places that you shouldn’t even be tempted to visit. Overall, Epic Games have been lauded for finally giving fans what they want and delivering a brand new map for its first season of Chapter 2, freshening up the popular battle royale game mode. However, while that might sound all well and good, just like any map there are parts that you don’t really want to be starting matches, even if they look cool at first glance. Whether you prefer to land at named points of interest or unnamed areas of the map, the last thing you want is to start your game at somewhere that’s going to put you at a disadvantage. So, while we would never go as far as saying it’s impossible to pick up wins here – as that would be a pretty ludicrous thing to say – let’s take a look at all of the places that we have ranked as the worst on the new landscape and see if you agree. Lockie’s Lighthouse This might be one of the places that you still haven’t checked off your map just yet, as Epic started the season by concealing everything, and in all honesty, it should stay that way. Don’t even bother. Unless you want to explore one or two small houses and then go running around in circles until you get to the top of a lighthouse, only to find yourself miles away from the circle… Be our guest and visit Lockie’s Lighthouse. There’s not much going on here, that’s for sure. Nice view, though. The place itself does look phenomenal, just not an ideal spot for when you’re first dropping in. Retail Row Some fans might have expected – even wanted – some remnants of the older map to stick around for Chapter 2, but let’s face it, Retail Row is a stale spot. One thing that it can’t be denied is the amount of loot that you can find. This point of interest certainly has a number of chests spawning there, but there are so many other fresh places to explore that this one looks very much redundant at this point. Read More: How to use the boat in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Moving away from ‘devil’s advocate’ mode for a second, though. If everybody is thinking it’s redundant, you could have a clear shot at all of the loot here. Just something to bear in mind. Generally though, we would avoid. Homely Hills Homely Hills looks like a quaint little village in the hillside, but it’s not exactly the place you would want to start a match, for a number of reasons. Just like the Lighthouse – which isn’t too far away from it, by the way – Homely Hills is easy on the eye. It’s something different, spread across a nice spot of land, but the buildings are quite far apart and not always the best in terms of the loot you will find there. There’s not a lot. Weeping Woods Solely from a chest count perspective, Weeping Woods is a bad option in comparison to the other named locations. That doesn’t mean to say that there’s nothing good about this landing spot, clearly there is. There are a number of huge trees that make it an ideal area for building up your material totals, mushrooms all over the place for shield, but only 11 chests to dig your way through. Now, while that might actually sound like a lot, it’s not when compared with other POIs. Check out the full list below, via Twitter user Crash7_. Fortnite Chapter 2 POI chest counts Frenzy Farm – 21 chests – Holly Hedges – 14 chests – Craggy Cliffs – 19 chests – Misty Meadows – 25 chests – Dirty Docks – 31 chests – Lazy Lake – 28 chests – Slurpy Swamp – 18 chests – Weeping Woods – 11 chests – Sweaty Sands – 34 chests – Steamy Stacks – 23 chests – Sweaty Sands Now, this might look like an unusual one to end things on, especially given that we’ve just shown you that Sweaty Sands is the capital of loot in Chapter 2, Season 1… But, we have our reasons. There might well be a grand total of 34 chests waiting to be opened at this point of interest, but the only interest you need to be worried about is your survival and that’s going to be made – almost by default – more difficult to achieve by landing here. In some games, almost half of the lobby can be seen to angle their gliders towards this location, recreating a similar experience to that of Tilted Towers in previous seasons. That doesn’t mean to say that you can’t be successful when landing here, yet it’s definitely going to be more challenging, particularly for those who are just starting out. So, there you have it! That draws a close to our worst location guide for Fortnite Chapter 2 and it wasn’t easy to put together, because of the positivity surrounding vast areas of the new battle royale setting. If you would like to check out our best locations guide, go ahead.

World record holding Fortnite player ‘RizArt’ admits lying about his age Epic GamesFortnite world-record holding professional player RizArt has admitted to faking his age in order to gain YouTube subscribers. RizArt is still the current holder of the most kills to be recorded on Fortnite’s Solos game mode, having racked up 34 eliminations by himself in a single session last November. The Japanese player’s YouTube channel now has over 188,000 subscribers – at the time of writing – after claiming to be just 12 years of age. However, in a recent video he claimed to be “truly ashamed” about misleading his followers for such a long time. “I’m very sorry to have not been telling everyone the truth,” he said. “I am truly ashamed for having lied to all of you.” RizArt stated that he’s actually 16-years-old and in his first year of high school, despite his fans thinking that he was still in elementary. Read More: Fortnite Season 7 Week 10 challenges and how to complete them – Expedition Outposts, Shooting gallery locations – People were clearly shocked that somebody they believed to be so young could go on to break Fortnite Battle Royale world records, and the pro player – who currently plays for esports team Crazy Raccoon – decided not to correct his followers, who presumed he was younger than he was. “As my subscribers grew in numbers, I kept worrying about how I had to come clean,” he added. “But it became a situation in which I couldn’t tell the truth.” RizArt is going to be competing at the upcoming ESL Katowice Royale 2019 in March, where he’ll go up against the likes of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, Team Liquid’s Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright and more. “For this long period of time I haven’t been able to tell my viewers the truth, and for that I am deeply sorry” he concluded, before promising to donate three months’ worth of his YouTube earnings to charity. Whether or not RizArt’s revelation will impact his YouTube following remains to be seen, but it will not affect his eligibility to compete at tournaments, as there is no age restriction for Fortnite competitions in Japan.

  • Fortnite World Cup cheater XXiF raises suspicions of ‘teaming’ again during trios tournament – Dexerto

Fortnite World Cup cheater XXiF raises suspicions of ‘teaming’ again during trios tournament Notorious Fortnite pro Damion ‘XXiF’ Cook has once again caused a storm in the competitive community after appearing to be fed a free kill during the recent trios tournament. The controversy began back in April 2019, shortly after XXiF had seemingly booked his ticket to the upcoming Fortnite World Cup alongside star names such as Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Timothy ‘Bizzle’ Miller. Epic Games were forced to investigate after he was accused of being ‘fed’ kills by other players, allowing him to score points for eliminations and improve his chances of qualification. Eventually, his spot was revoked, and he was banned for two weeks – although just a fortnight later, he qualified again. Weeks after Epic Games were heavily criticized for allowing a known cheater to participant in the tournament, XXiF once again finds himself the middle of a storm after a clip appeared of him being given a free elimination during the recent single-day trios tournament. After entering Salty Springs, the former Rise Nation pro is met with a player who is dancing on the roof of a building, allowing XXiF to score an easy kill – gaining HP, materials as well as adding a point on the board. wasn’t this the guy who cheated in world cup and got a 2 week band? trio finals btw @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/UG7ZyPOL4K— Erupt Saucy (@SwervoSaucy_) July 22, 2019 Fortnite players on Reddit suggested that the player dancing may have wanted to be eliminated quickly to rejoin his fallen teammates in another match. This theory was supported by Misfits Gaming pro Griffin ‘Sceptic’ Spikoski who agreed that the solo player wanted to leave the match without disconnecting. However, other players on Reddit questioned the logic, suggesting that the player had an epic tactical shotgun meaning he should a good chance of scoring at least one elimination on his way out, which would have boosted their point tally. Please delete lmao. The kid was solo and didn’t wanna back out bc he would get punished. — Sceptic (@Sceptic) July 22, 2019 With XXiF finishing in 21 place for the NA-East region, he guaranteed himself a slice of the prize pool, but should the allegations prove to be true, Epic Games will be forced to take action again. There has been no official communication from the developer as to whether the issue will be investigated, but we will keep you updated as this story develops. Dexerto have reached out to XXiF for a comment.

  • Woman goes viral for playing Fortnite after giving birth – Dexerto

Woman goes viral for playing Fortnite after giving birth X/Epic GamesA woman has gone viral on social media for playing Fortnite right after giving birth to a newborn. Here’s how the internet reacted to the amusing occurrence. With a massive user base and consistent community support, Fortnite has become a cultural phenomenon and one of the top Battle Royale games. In 2023, statistics were made public, and Epic Games experienced an all-time high in user activity during Season OG in November. Having said that, with the game having entered Chapter 5, players are tuning in over the holiday season to enjoy Winterfest on the island and get free presents from Fortnite. A member of the player community recently shared the most surprising video of a fan playing Fortnite on social media, adding to the growing collection of humorous clips displaying delight and devotion to the game. This wildly popular video shows a new mother playing Fortnite in the hospital’s maternity ward just after giving birth, and it looks just as crazy as it sounds. Mum goes viral for playing Fortnite in hospital room right after giving birth A video uploaded by the Wild Content X account depicts a woman reclining in a hospital bed next to her infant child. The amusing aspect is that she is playing Fortnite on a tiny television in the room while holding a PS5 controller in her hand. The video is simply labeled as “Fortnite after giving birth.” As the source of the video wasn’t mentioned, the shared clip on X received loads of comments from the Fortnite player community. One such player said, “She needs to release the stress of labor by playing a video game and I love it.” Another chimed in, “Mamma relaxing a bit while the baby sleeps, I see no issues.” A third user added, “Mama’s battle royale extends from the delivery room to the virtual battlefield – double victories all around.” While there was all praise in the comments and support towards the new mum, there was an opposing side that criticized the clip. One such user replied, “That’s a serious addiction if she can’t even give the newborn attention.” Many people have commented on the video, and it seems like most of them are encouraging the woman’s determination to use gaming as a means of relieving stress and pushing the pastime as a healing component, similar to what we thought with LEGO Fortnite in our review.

  • Winter versions of classic Fortnite skins ‘Red Knight’ and more coming soon, according to leaks – Dexerto

Winter versions of classic Fortnite skins ‘Red Knight’ and more coming soon, according to leaks New leaks have surfaced suggesting that some classic Fortnite skins will be getting new seasonal versions in Season 7, including Red Knight. Dropping on December 6, the v7.00 update brought with it massive map changes, a new battle pass and plenty of new content – but there is lots more to come. Data miners have been busy digging through the files from the new update, and have already discovered a potential new sword based LTM coming soon. For skins fanatics though, this latest leak will be even more intriguing, as it looks like some fan favorite skins will be getting wintery remakes. Game files discovered by data miner FortTory indicate that winter effects could be added to skins like Red Knight, Raven and Cupid. Unfortunately there are no visuals to show of these skins, rather only the file names, found in a ‘characters’ folders. There is some controversy around this leak however, as some long time Fortnite players are against the idea of releasing ‘OG’ skins back into the game, taking away the sheen from players who have been playing longer. The last ‘OG’ skin to be released was the Skull Trooper in October, which came back with a variety of colors after a year of not being available. For now, these are simply file names, and they could be scrapped by Epic Games, so fans should wait until they are officially announced before getting up in arms/celebrating over old skins coming back.

  • Will there be a Winter Royale Duos event in Fortnite Chapter 2? – Dexerto

Will there be a Winter Royale Duos event in Fortnite Chapter 2? Winter is coming and Fortnite players are wondering if Epic have a Duos tournament planned because the rumor mill is churning. The Winter Royale from 2018 was well received by players and viewers, as were the Summer and Fall Skirmishes, so now many are wondering if there’s something in the works for this winter season. Season X introduced the Fortnite Champion Series, which is the competitive circuit that’s now available in the game, and Chapter 2’s theme so far has been Squads. This means if players want to get involved in the competitive scene, they’ll have to do so with a group of four. A Duos system has been requested by the playerbase since the start of the season and now there are rumors swirling that Epic could on the verge of introducing a special tournament. There has already been a fake snippet from a blog post going around that seemingly looks real until you notice the typo in it. However, that’s not the only thing circulating. A FaZe Clan Fortnite coach tweeted a mockup of a logo and an in-game message, both fake, of course. However, it’s clear that players desperately want it to be real. This leads us to wonder if Epic even has anything planned. The easy answer to that question would be they don’t, but there are still some things that could give fans hope for the future that a Duos event is indeed coming. With this season featuring entirely on Squads, you don’t expect to see many players announcing who their Duos partners are for events going forward, but that’s exactly what we’re seeing. Both Mongraal and MrSavageX have made announcements for their Duo, so either they are just getting in on the fun or they know something we don’t know. Can’t wait for duo FNCS. MrSavage X ??? 11/20 17:00 CEST pic.twitter.com/FuFYNNDcsv — MrSavage (@MrSavage) November 18, 2019 ANNOUNCING DUO FOR ALL FUTURE DUO EVENTS 🇬🇧 @Benjyfishy x @Mongraal 🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/SdFP0ojgL2 — Mongraal (@Mongraal) November 19, 2019 It’s possible they are just prepping for the next season of the FNCS potentially introducing a Duos playlist. That is unconfirmed at this point but it’s something that would make a lot of sense. For the time being, there is nothing confirmed about a potential Fortnite Winter Royale and there’s no indication we should expect one on the horizon. With this being Fortnite, things can change on a whim so keep your eyes peeled for a potential announcement.

  • Winter is officially coming to Fortnite as snow begins to fall – Dexerto

Winter is officially coming to Fortnite as snow begins to fall Epic GamesAll the rumors and speculation about a winter theme coming to Fortnite Battle Royale for Season 7 seems to have been confirmed as snow is now falling! The first Season 7 teaser image, which was released on December 3, appeared to drop a massive hint that the theories were correct as it showed an icy silhouette and came with the caption: “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.” Various other leaks and in-game hints also suggested that things were beginning to get a bit colder for the inhabitants of the game, but a discovery on December 4 all but confirmed that the rumors were correct! Approximately half an hour before the expected release of the second teaser image for Season 7, the fnbr.new Twitter account shared a video of snow falling the map, saying: “It’s snowing at spawn island!” We’re currently unsure whether the snow is falling on the main Battle Royale map or not – we’ll keep you updated. It’s snowing at spawn island! :snowflake:️ pic.twitter.com/xCuQ1MgfL4 — Fortnite News – fnbr.news (@FortniteBR) December 4, 2018 There is also a large iceberg which appears to be moving ever closer to the Fortnite map, and is hinted at in the first Season 7 trailer. The iceberg appeared to have a small castle at the top, and its lights are on, first spotted by players on December 2. It is likely that the Iceberg and/or castle will have a big role to play in whatever Season 7 has in store. Some players anticipate a new snowy section of the map, with fans making concepts showing various parts covered in white, while others think that the entire map may be covered with a layer of snow. Audio files also hinted at snow fall, or even a snow storm on its way to Fortnite, all in the lead up to Christmas and the winter season.

The competition featured a bracket format split between the NA and EU regions, with the top two finishers from each race advancing to the next round until there were only four players left from each region. Winners announced for Week 3 ‘Lazy Links Tour’ Trials of Fortnite Fall Skirmish – points, videos, current standings Epic Games have announced the winners of the week three Trials in Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish. Held during the week of October 8, this past week’s Trials featured a contest called ‘Lazy Links Tour,’ in which players from all five Clubs were tasked with trying to make the longest shot they could on each hole of the golf course located at the Lazy Links location on the Fortnite map. The challenge was a lot less simpler than it sounds, as players had to use their imagination and building skills to try to maximize the distance of their shots, all while needing to be accurate enough to make them. Players used the golf emote in Fortnite, and recorded all of their shots for the purposes of the challenge, since the distance of each made shot showed up in the on-screen event feed. The overall scoring was based on the total combined distance of made shots across all nine holes, and the top five players were awarded with a monetary prize as well as points for their respective Clubs. The final results were announced during the broadcast of the week four competition, as hosts Zeke and TSM’s Myth did their best golf commentator impressions as they looked at some of the best video submissions for the challenge. Following the results, and the points that were awarded to the winners’ respective Clubs, here are the update Club standings, which reflect both the week 3 Trials and the EU half of the week four tournament.

The pair, playing in their first Friday Fortnite together, took home $7,000, managed to beat defending champions Tfue and Cloak twice, and secured the second best finish ever for 100 Thieves, after content creator ‘NICKMERCS’ won the whole thing in Week One. .@100Thieves’ @100T_Parallax and @100T_Kenith were hyped after eliminating FaZe from the $20,000 Friday #Fortnite. • Competitive Players ‘Zayt’ and ‘Saf’ Win the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Three Duos Tournament – Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements – Dexerto

Competitive Players ‘Zayt’ and ‘Saf’ Win the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Three Duos Tournament – Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements NRG Esports pro player ‘Zayt’ and streamer ‘Saf’ have won the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ week three Duos tournament, securing the $60,000 grand prize. The pair were first to reach the 13 points needed to win, and were followed by streamers ‘iHesi’ and ‘Ghost Bizzle’ in second, and Team Liquid’s pro duo of ‘Chap’ and ’72hrs’ in third place. In order to best understand the recap of this tournament, make sure to brush up on the scoring format: The first Duos team to reach 13 points is the winner. Victory Royales and Eliminations in this competition will be scored to determine placement at the end of the event. The top 20 teams at the end of the Summer Skirmish will be awarded. Victory Royale: +4 Points 5 or more Eliminations: +2 Points Most Eliminations (per match): $6500 Zayt and Saf were both invited to play in this week’s competition because of their top performances in a previous Solo Showdown in-game event. Although the pair were able to only win one of the tournament’s ten total matches, they were consistently putting up strong performances and taking advantage of the 5+ elimination point bonus. They came into the tenth and final match sitting in third place with just ten points, but a dominant showing saw them not only win the match, but also get the two point bonus, putting them at 16 points and in first overall thanks to literally the last kill of the game. The final match was full of twists, turns, and, in the case of iHesi and Ghost Bizzle, heartbreak. The pair thought they had clinched the championship by getting their fifth elimination, but their celebrations proved to be too early. Although they finished just short, the third place duo of Chap and 72hrs had two match victories, including an intense final battle against FaZe Clan’s ‘Tfue’ and ‘Cloak.’ The Fortnite Summer Skirmish is an 8-week series of competitions where Epic Games will be awarding a total of $8 million in prize money. The competition features a variety of content creators, popular pro players, and top performers from previous in-game events. This $500K tournament was only the first of two for this week’s ‘Summer Skirmish’ event; the second tournament is scheduled to be played on July 21 but will feature a different group of competitors. • ‘NotVivid’ and ‘Liquid Poach’ Win the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Five Tournament – Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements – Dexerto

‘NotVivid’ and ‘Liquid Poach’ Win the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Five Tournament – Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements Defending champion ‘NotVivid’ and Team Liquid pro player ‘Poach’ have won the $500K Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ Week Five tournament, securing the $75,000 grand prize. The pair finished out on top of the standings after eight matches, with Ghost Gaming’s ‘Dmo’ and ‘Bizzle’ coming in second, followed by their Ghost roster teammates ‘Saf’ and ‘Ghoul.’ Before reading the rest of the recap, make sure to brush up on the scoring format for this week’s competition: King Pin Teams will be ranked on a Contest Leaderboard based on their current points. Victory Royales and Eliminations in this competition will be scored to determine placement, score, and multipliers during the event. The top 20 players at the end of the 8 games will be awarded. In the case of a tie, players will be scored on a tiebreaker system. Teams will be ranked on the Leaderboard based on the following scoring system: VICTORY ROYALE: X3 MULTIPLIER TO NEXT GAME’S POINTS* 7+ ELIMINATIONS: X2 MULTIPLIER TO NEXT GAME’S POINTS* ELIMINATIONS: 1 POINT EACH * These multipliers do not stack and only last for the next game. For example, an 8 elimination game with a victory royale would only grant a x3 multiplier to points for next game, not a x5 multiplier for next game. With NotVivid and Poach placing first and second in the Week Four tournament respectively, their decision to team up this week immediately made them one of the heavy favorites. That proved to be for good measure as the pair played consistently well throughout, accumulating 50 points. Their victory in Match 5 gave them a 3x Elimination Bonus for Match 6, allowing them to double their overall score and build a strong lead atop the standings. Ghost Gaming pro duo Dmo and Bizzle came in second place with 36 points, but an astonishing 24 of them came in the eighth and final match thanks to the 3x Elimination Bonus they had earned by winning Match 7. That dropped their Ghost peers Saf and Ghoul down to third with 34 points. Coming into the final match, Saf and Ghoul had been in second place thanks to their victory in Match 2, which gave them a 3x Bonus for Match Three. • Will there be Fortnite Chapter 3 leaks? Epic Games is trying to pull the brakes – Dexerto

Will there be Fortnite Chapter 3 leaks? Epic Games is trying to pull the brakes EpiLeaking content early has become a major part of the Fortnite community, but it seems Epic Games is asking leakers to keep the contents of Chapter 3 a secret. Fortnite Chapter 3 is just a few days away, but players normally wouldn’t need to wait that long to see what it has in store. That’s because a community of leakers on Twitter usually reveals the contents of the update before it goes live. We say usually, because this time around, Epic Games has requested that leakers not post Chapter 3 content until downtime for the update ends. The request was only issued to some of the largest leakers in the community including HYPEX and Shiina. However, it seems the request comes with no compensation, repercussions, or legal agreements. Simply put, Epic Games is calling in a favor. Who is leaking Fortnite Chapter 3 content? Although HYPEX and Shiina were the only two to receive the request, Epic Games is asking the community as a whole to refrain from leaking Chapter 3 content until Fortnite v19.00 goes live. That being said, asking a simple favor for nothing in return won’t stop leakers from continuing to do their jobs. HYPEX is by far the biggest leaker in the community with 1.9 million followers on Twitter. And while they haven’t had the best history with Epic Games, they tweeted that they would be following its requests. So, if HYPEX is your main source of Fortnite leaks, you’re going to need to look elsewhere for Chapter 3. I’ve made my mind up.. I won’t leak anything Chapter 3 or event related even if it leaks by others, unless if Epic post it themselves. I really wanna get this feeling again of no leaks on a chapter/season launch just like pre Chapter 1 Season 6. hopefully y’all agree with this. — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 2, 2021 Shiina, being the other to receive the request, hasn’t accepted Epic Games’ agreement to not leak content. In conversation with Dexerto, Shiina stated: “After their initial message, we thought this couldn’t work at all which is the main reason why we sent them suggestions to improve their idea. As far as I know, they haven’t responded to these suggestions yet, so there’s no real “agreement” here yet (at least from my side).” Epic Games has asked leakers to not post any leaks during the v19.00 downtime. We realize why this is an important concern for them and have provided suggestions on how to make their idea work in a good way. Based on their response, we will evaluate if this is a realistic idea. — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) December 1, 2021 iFireMonkey is another leading member of the Fortnite leaking community with an impressive 775k followers on Twitter, but they didn’t receive Epic Games’ request. And it seems as if he will continue to post leaked content like normal. In conversation, he stated: “All they did was ask us to wait until downtime ended before leaking stuff, but we all know that probably won’t happen.” Personally, I have been trying to think about how this would work for a bit today and how I feel is that if anyone is able to leak the update I see no reason for me to not post leaks, since no matter what people would be able to post it anyways. We will have to wait and see. — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) December 1, 2021 Will there be Fortnite Chapter 3 leaks? Despite leakers ignoring Epic Games’ laughable request, that doesn’t mean it will be possible to leak content. According to Shiina, there are various new factors at play with Chapter 3 that could stop leakers from datamining, though. With the start of Chapter 3, Fortnite is switching to Unreal Engine 5. Shiina stated that this will make datamining harder in v19.00 and beyond. As well, an Epic Games employee told Shiina they “have made some changes for 19.00 to make things slightly more difficult, but nothing is ever perfect”. The process of datamining and posting has been automated thanks to the use of bots. However, several public bots/services that are used by a vast majority of dataminers to properly do their “job” will be turned off during v19.00 downtime. “All of that will most likely stop people from leaking content,” stated Shiina. Epic Games wants Fortnite’s new content to be a surprise. They want players to be able to play a few rounds for themselves before seeing the new content on Twitter. And despite leakers ignoring their request, that might actually happen. For more Fortnite, check out the five things we want to see in Chapter 3, and stay tuned for more news and guides.

  • Will there be a Game of Thrones and Fortnite crossover event in Season 8? – Dexerto

Will there be a Game of Thrones and Fortnite crossover event in Season 8? If you’re a Game of Thrones fan who doubles as a Fortnite player, the possibility of a crossover event between the two will definitely be something to look forward to – but could it really happen? There have been number of in-game items, occurrences and ‘clues’ that have started to catch our eye since the beginning of Fortnite’s Season 7 and moving into Season 8, and the fan theorists among us are beginning to wonder how, and if, a GoT crossover could ever work in the battle royale game. *Before continuing, we should advise you that there are some Game of Thrones spoilers throughout this article. If you’re not up-to-date with the latest season, you might not want to read on.* So, what’s got us so excited about a potential crossover between one of the goriest television programmes in history and a game that is enjoyed predominantly by teenagers and under 25s? Let’s begin with the snow… “Winter is coming” is one of the most famous phrases from Game of Thrones and George R. R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ books. To put it very simply, seasons in Westeros (Martin’s imagined world) don’t work like we’re used to. Instead, summer can last for years and so can winter. The Starks of Winterfell are the most wary of winter’s arrival and they often use the phrase in conversation. In the books, and the TV show, winter slowly begins to draw in on Westeros and it is set to be the bleakest in living memory. In fact, it’s so bad that an army of White Walkers and wights (kind of like snow zombies) led by the ‘Night King’ are beginning to invade from the North. This basically means that the lives of all men are in danger. We haven’t seen any White Walkers or wights in Fortnite (well, not exactly – see below), but the cube monsters from Season 6 would definitely be a good base to work from. Winter also definitely arrived when the Iceberg biome became a part of the map at the start of Season 7. We saw the map entirely covered in snow once this season, on Christmas day, and some data miners seem to believe that it could happen again**. Read More: Fortnite: Major hint from Creative Director points to mystery of Dragon Eggs being revealed soon – This alone is hardly evidence that any sort of crossover event could be on the horizon, but Polar Peak’s numerous secrets make the fan fiction rather more believable. Let’s start with the throne room: if you haven’t been to Polar Peak yet, there’s a throne inside a large room that reminds us of the Iron Throne from A Song of Ice and Fire. There’s only so many ways that a throne can look, but those shards of ice certainly have a similar feeling to them: Now, bear with us for a while longer. Thrones are pretty standard inclusions in any throne room, hence the name, so the fact that there’s one in Polar Peak probably doesn’t mean much, even if it is believed to belong to the ‘Ice King’. Where have we heard a name like that before…? Of course, the Iron Throne from GoT is situated in King’s Landing, which is different in virtually every way to Polar Peak. King’s Landing is one of the last areas of Westeros that will be engulfed by winter due to its location in the South. This is certainly a kink in our tinfoil hat armor, but what about those dormant ‘dragon eggs’ that data miners keep finding under Polar Peak? Dragons are a massive part of the Game of Thrones story, with Daenerys Targaryen successfully hatching the first live dragons in over a century. So, dragon eggs in Fortnite under a throne made for an Ice King suddenly makes the theory seem less far fetched! These eggs have since dissapeared from Polar Peak in Fortnite, and fans now believe they are about to hatch – perhaps just in time for the start of Season 8 of Game of Thrones? Spoiler alert: If you’re not up-to-date with Game of Thrones, we would advise skipping this next paragraph. In Season 7 of the television series, the Night King manages to resurrect one of Daenerys’ dragons and turn it into some sort of White Walker ice dragon that breathes blue flame! We don’t know much more about the zombie dragon thing, but perhaps the eggs under Polar Peak could hatch into similar creatures? We’ve already had enough cosmetics and imagery in Fortnite to be able to picture what an ice dragon with the Ice King riding on it could look like, and we’re willing to bet that those petrified eggs under Polar Peak won’t stay unhatched for long. 500A creative Fortnite player even imagined what Game of Throne’s Castle Black would look like in Fortnite, with incredible attention to detail. You can try the map out for yourself by entering the following code in Creative mode: We’re willing to admit that we’re clutching at straws with some of our evidence, but we’ve already convinced ourselves that the crossover, though unlikely, would be absolutely epic. We’re in no way suggesting that the main game will become some sort of Westeros copy, but a limited time event like the Fortnite x Avengers one could certainly go down well and provide excellent exposure for all parties. One major sticking point is that the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones isn’t due to come out until April of 2019; Epic Games would have to stretch out the snow and dragon egg plots for quite some time to fit in with that date. However, the developers could still decide to make some sort of event or new item (maybe a dragon LTM?) in celebration of Season 8 for both Fortnite and GoT. Season 8 of Fortnite is now underway, and the first episode of Season 8 of Game of Thrones will air on April 17 – which will be just in time for Week 8, or Season 8, in Fortnite. In truth, yes, a Game of Thrones x Fortnite crossover is pretty unlikely – about as unlikely as it gets. However, nobody saw Fortnite’s Avengers crossover event coming either, and it was one of the biggest and best limited time events in the game’s history. It can’t hurt to dream, right? More Game of Thrones hints in Fortnite Fortnite’s v7.20 update on January 15 was followed by a number of interesting leaks from data miners. Most of these leaks involved upcoming skins and game modes, but one in particular caught our eye. It would seem that, despite the criticism of the Infinity Blade earlier in Season 7, another sword item is making its way to Fortnite in the near future. If the leaks are to be believed, this sword will be a weapon and classed as a ‘normal sword’, but we think it looks pretty darn medieval! Almost like something a GoT character might carry around. Ice Storm event On January 19, an ‘Ice Storm’ event started in Fortnite. As a part of this event, ice zombies of some sort have also been added to the map! Could we finally be seeing our first evidence of wights and White Walkers? Epic Games are calling this new army the ‘Ice Legion’. The strange Ice Storm event has also covered the entire Fortnite map in snow and ice for the second time in Season 7. A new kingdom rises. Prepare for battle – dive in now to take on the Ice Legion and survive the storm! pic.twitter.com/yvcHgCIYvk — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) January 19, 2019 The snow all pretty much disappeared in Season 8, although Polar Peaks remains covered. Last updated April 7.

  • Will the Fortnite World Cup feature a new, consistency-based format? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep. 55 – Dexerto

Will the Fortnite World Cup feature a new, consistency-based format? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep. 55 With the Fortnite World Cup set to start up in just a few months, it’s time to start thinking about what the format might look like. There’s been no official word on what the format for the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers or main event will look like, but there’s been plenty of speculation as to just what will be in store for hopeful players next year. On the November 19 episode of The Fortnite Podcast, 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace offered some ideas on the variety of options might be available competitors during the World Cup. The duo got on the topic of the World Cup format when discussing the competitive format suggestion put forth by FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill. The suggestion would see Fortnite adopt a format similar to that of the PGA (Professional Golf Association) Fedex Cup that sees players earn points from different events played over an extended period of time rather than having single events with large prize pools. Big idea :light_bulb:Pro Fortnite could use a ranking system like golf. Rewarding consistency and significance of events. Then hold playoffs like FedEx cup for those who play well all year. Too many questionable top 10 lists out here — Nate Hill (@NateHillTV) November 16, 2018 MonsterDFace agrees with the suggestion and actually thinks that It’s something Epic is looking into, saying: “I almost wanna say they already kind of hinted that it’s gonna be a mirrored/consistency system for Worlds.” The pair further explained their reasoning for Epic adopting this consistency system, stressing that Epic doesn’t simply focus on the winners of every event but instead look at all the results equally. “I guarantee you there were people there who got to talk to Epic,” 2LoudTX says about players attending the PAX West Fortnite event that may not have actually won. “[Epic] saw the names and I guarantee you there were people that didn’t make the cut that Epic were still watching because of their commitment to being there every day.” MonsterDFace even goes on to say that he thinks Epic Game is a close eye on the results of the regional Microsoft and Pop-Up Cup tournaments, meaning that competing in as many events as possible will give players a chance to get spotted even if they don’t necessarily win. Read More: Tfue and Symfuhny discuss their current feelings towards Fortnite, suggest most pro players feel the same – While we likely won’t hear any new information on what the World Cup format will end up being for a couple months, it seems safe to say that it will cast a wide net and allow many players the chance to compete. • Will Tfue switch from Fortnite to Apex Legends? – Dexerto

Will Tfue switch from Fortnite to Apex Legends? FaZe’s Fortnite, but with the rise of Apex Legends seemingly putting a cloud of doubt in his mind about the future of the Epic Games title, will he be tempted to jump ship? Tfue used his success playing Battle Royale to elevate his Twitch channel during 2018 and claims to have the most subscribers on the platform so far, as a result. However, some of his actions and criticisms since the release of Apex Legends suggest that he’s not too happy with the current state of Fortnite. These frustrated sentiments first appeared when the streamer slapped two big labels on Epic’s free-to-play title, calling it “boring” and then “stale” between February 11-12, just under a week after Respawn Entertainment shocked the world by not just revealing but releasing its new battle royale game. Since then, Apex Legends has attracted over 25 million players and looks to be providing solid competition to Fortnite – sparking some extraordinary predictions from not just Tfue but also Dr Disrespect. Both popular internet personalities have predicted that the game will “die” in the next year, with The Doc guaranteeing his viewers that the game’s craze will soon finished because people won’t want to be associated with the product. “It will die in a year because people will be embarrassed to be associated with it,” he guaranteed. “The product sucks and no-one really, really, really, really, really thinks it’s quality. It’s terrible.” Whether or not their predictions will come to fruition remains to be seen, as Fortnite has teased a number of exciting new changes to the game for Season 8 – which is expected to go live on February 28. Despite the FaZe Clan member previously saying Apex Legends is not better than Fortnite, if Tfue does truly believe that it will die in the next year, surely he will want to be associated with another money-making opportunity. That could be Respawn’s game. After all, he’s already pulled out of the ESL Katowice Royale tournament and has even discussed the idea of ditching the Fortnite World Cup Finals as well – which will have a $30 million prize pool. If he’s not happy with the current state of the game, is predicting that it will die in the next year and doesn’t plan on competing at upcoming tournaments, there is a chance that his switch to another game could be closer than some might think. There is a chance that Tfue is concerned that his Twitch following is made up of mostly Fortnite fans, though, in which case it would make a permanent switch-up of games particularly difficult. However, there’s nothing stopping him giving it a try. In fact, it’s starting to look quite likely indeed.

  • Will Pokimane’s Fortnite emote be back in the Item Shop? Leakers hint at Season 6 return – Dexerto

Will Pokimane’s Fortnite emote be back in the Item Shop? Leakers hint at Season 6 return Epic Games / Twitch: PokimaneAccording to a reliable leaker on Twitter, Pokimane’s Fortnite emote might be making a comeback during Chapter 2, Season 6 after being absent from the game for over a year’s time. Here’s what we know so far. While most Fortnite cosmetics come and go from the store on a regular basis, there are some outfits and items that have appeared once or twice, only to never appear in the item shop again. The most notable example of this is the Travis Scott skin, which was made available in the item shop one time in late-April 2020 and hasn’t been seen since. Another example of this is the emote called Poki, which is a dance based on the popular Twitch streamer Pokimane. In early 2020, the emote was added to the Fortnite Item Shop, and it hasn’t been back since then. If a leaker is to be believed, however, the emote might be making a glorious return in the near future. Leaker teases return of the Poki emote in Fortnite Season 6 The Poki emote got a updated item shop asset. Meaning it should return soon! pic.twitter.com/jR6TSsKRjE — FNBRintel (@FNBRintel) March 30, 2021 According to Fortnite leaker FNInformation over on Twitter, the Poki emote has gotten its shop asset updated. Generally speaking, this means that the item has been changed to fit the current store API. Whenever this happens, it usually means that the item will be released within the next few days – maybe even the same day. Of course, the only fact in this case is that the store asset was updated. Whether or not it comes to the game is another question entirely – however, considering the track record with updating item assets before releasing them, it seems to be a forgone conclusion that it’ll be back soon. When will the Poki emote be back in the Fortnite Item Shop? Of course, at the time of writing, we don’t know exactly when the emote will be added to the game, as it hasn’t even been officially announced yet. That being said, given how soon these skins usually come once they’ve been updated, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it return sometime within the next few days. Unless things have changed since it’s last release, it’ll cost player 500 V-Bucks if they want to purchase it, since that was it’s price last time. Of course, if there’s any official information on the emote to share, we’ll update this article accordingly. Until then, however, keep it locked to Dexerto.

  • Will the Loot Lake orb destroy Fortnite map for Season 10? Leaks, rumors and more – Dexerto

Will the Loot Lake orb destroy Fortnite map for Season 10? Leaks, rumors and more The Fortnite Cattus vs Doggus event is over, with the Mech robot coming out on top, but their battle led to an interesting development on the map that could wreak havoc in the future. Epic Games delivered yet again with their latest in-game event, a huge battle between the terrifying Cattus monster and the newly constructed Doggus robot. The duel took place all over the map, with Cattus being slain just outside of Salty Springs following an intense showdown. Loot Lake played a huge role in the event, with the sea monster attempting to crack into the power supply before Mech intervened. The robot also used the power of the vault to compensate for its broken arm, leaving a mysterious orb of light in its wake. Once the dust had settled, fans quickly began to speculate what the orb could mean for the future of Fortnite, given all of the game’s vaulted items are stored underneath it’s location. Speculation continued the following day after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the orb was actually destabilizing, meaning it could become extremely unstable in the lead up to Season 10 which officially begins on August 1. Their theories were confirmed by prominent Fortnite leaker @FortTory who found the multiple stages of the orb in the game’s hidden files, confirming its state would be changing in the coming days. With the theme of the upcoming season yet to be revealed, the orb could play a massive factor – potentially reverting the map to its former state which could see the return of popular locations such as Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove and Retail Row. I have found three particles in the event files: P_CattusDoggus_Destabilize P_CattusDoggus_Destabilize2 P_CattusDoggus_Destabilize3I supose these are three stages for the Nexus Orbit. First one being visible now and the other two later, leading up to season 10. pic.twitter.com/hWuSuuUWHq — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) July 20, 2019 With Loot Lake currently providing power to Neo Tilted, Mega Mall and the slipstream, there could be a blackout if the source is damaged. Fortnite are yet to introduce a brand-new map to their game, instead focusing on constant developments to their iconic landscape, adding and removing new points of interest with every new season. However, the orb could be their way of tying in a whole new design with their current story line, following on from the unvaulting event and volcano eruption. With Season 10 just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait long to see what Epic Games have up their sleeve.

  • Will League and Fortnite be banned? US reportedly investigates Tencent – Dexerto

Will League and Fortnite be banned? US reportedly investigates Tencent Epic Games / Riot GamesFortnite and League of Legends players might have cause for concern after it was revealed that Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings is reportedly under US investigation ahead of TikTok’s ban. Amid the ongoing drama surrounding TikTok in the US, with the popular social media site set to be blocked for users in the coming days, it seems as if more companies with ties to China are now being investigated. While TikTok has been under scrutiny, following privacy and data concerns from the US government, it was revealed that video game publishers under the parent company Tencent have now reportedly been contacted by the Committee of Foreign Investment. US Gov investigates Tencent involvement in Epic and Riot The Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States or ‘CFIUS,’ which is chaired by the Treasury Department, is known for reviewing the country’s data and security implications when it comes to foreign investment. According to a report from Bloomberg, the CFIUS has now sent letters to companies such as Epic Games, Riot Games, and others owned by Tencent, asking about their security protocols for handling their players’ personal data. While both video game publishers mainly operate out of the United States, it is no secret that Tencent has ties to the companies, with ownership of Riot Games and a 40% stake in Epic Games. Will Fortnite and LoL be banned in the US? As of now, it is unclear if these companies will be banned, or targeted similar to TikTok, but players will have to wait for the results of this investigation to go public to be certain. With Riot Games recently expanding into titles like Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and with more on the way, any decisions by the US government could potentially affect millions of players in the US who play these games. Also, this is not the only trouble that Epic Games has had to face in recent weeks, as their feud with Apple, which prevents iOS users from playing, is still ongoing after they initially started the ‘Free Fortnite’ movement. Tencent’s WeChat app is also the firing line, however, with over 300 investments in Tencent’s portfolio, including a smaller stake in Activision Blizzard, it remains to be seen just how big of an impact this could have.
